June 5, 2018 – Drew Changes His Mind (Again), David’s House is Bugged, Kosher Honey, Scrubz Success & I Need Sleep

Standard

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Diane talks to Sonny about Carly’s medication. She says it’s Exhibit A. The more medication she’s on, the better. Jason says he’s still looking for proof of her innocence. Diane asks if he has any, and he says, no. She says then there is no evidence. Sonny says, good.

Alexis looks at Mikkos’s picture. Sam comes by, bringing snacks. Alexis asks if they’re having an impromptu movie night. Sam says she needs her advice, and Alexis says she doesn’t have to bribe her with snacks. She asks what’s going on, and Sam says it’s about her divorce.

Kim goes to Drew’s office, but he’s not there. She sees the assembly flyer on his desk, and picks it up. She notices the DNR underneath, and wonders what he’s thinking. I wonder how every stranger that walks by is allowed to root through your office at Aurora.

Lulu tells Dante that he should be impressed. She waited to watch the latest episode of House Hunters International, although she did break open the wine. He tells her that the WSB is breathing down their necks. Lulu says she heard Jordan’s head is on the chopping block. He asks who told her that, and she says an unnamed source in Ned’s office. He asks if his wife or a reporter was doing the asking.

Diane tells Sonny that the trial starts tomorrow. Jason wants more time, but she says she pushed to have it earlier. Sonny says the sooner she’s in Shadybrook, the better. Jason says the sooner he proves her innocence, the better (which is apparently the phrase of the day). Diane says he doesn’t have much time to spin it. Jason tells them that Spinelli has been working night and day. Carly didn’t imagine any of it; she’s not crazy, and Nelle’s fall was an accident. Diane says because of an altercation over a baby blanket that no one saw, and Nelle says doesn’t exist. He can’t prove that, but she can prove Carly’s irrational behavior, and doesn’t need his help to do it.

Lulu tells Dante that got off on the wrong foot, and asks him to sit with her and have a glass of wine. Dante says it’s been a long day, and she says he can talk to her. He asks if she means as his wife, not a journalist. He says Henrik/Peter was behind bars, and now he’s gone; it’s demoralizing. Lulu doesn’t think he’s gone; not the way he left things with Maxie. Dante asks if she thinks he’ll want to make amends, and she says he cares what Maxie thinks. She believes he cared about her. Dante says Lulu doesn’t know a damn thing except the lies Peter fed her.

Felix and Stella have a drink at The Floating Rib. She asks how Mike is, and Felix says Mike cleaned him out at checkers; he’s a shark. Stella says he’s got skills to spare and charm to match. Felix says he put on quite a show at the Nurses’ Ball. Stella says Alzheimer’s is taking its toll, but he’s still in there. He’s a good man, and deserves his dignity. She’s grateful Felix is giving him that. Felix asks if it’s just him, or is Mike a special case? She says Mike has certain flair. He reminds her of someone she used to know. Felix asks about Curtis getting married to the commissioner, and she says the talk about her nephew’s engagement, the better. Jordan and Curtis walk in.

Alexis asks what Sam wants. She says she’s ready to leave Aurora, and wants Drew to have it. Alexis says leaving and signing away a valuable asset are two different things. Sam says they acquired the company together because they wanted to run it together. They’re not together anymore, and she wants him to have her half. Alexis points out that the company was purchased with Jason’s money. Sam says technically. Alexis says the deal was, they could both pay him back long term at zero interest. Jason did it for her. If he’d thought it was just for Drew, he might have sold the company outright. He might object if believes Drew is getting to reclaim the asset. Sam says Jason wouldn’t do that, but Alexis says Diane would. They’re not talking about a couch, and she’ll look out for his best interests. It’s a multi-million-dollar enterprise. Why should Drew get it? Sam says, Drew wants it, and she doesn’t anymore.

Drew’s assistant finds Kim in his office. She tells Kim that Drew is out, but she can leave a message. Kim says she can’t wait. She has to stop him from doing something dangerous. Drew walks in.

Diane asks Jason about the phone calls. He says Dante traced them, and they can prove they came from a pay phone close to where Morgan died. At first, they were hang ups. Then, on Valentine’s Day, Carly heard a guy say, I’m here. Nelle was using Carly’s grief to lure her only yards away from where her son died. Diane asks, how? and Jason says she heard an explosion. Diane asks if he found any evidence, and Jason says, no, because Nelle was playing a recording. She says it’s speculation. He insists it happened. Nelle made the calls, and has been torturing Carly, and he should have seen it.

Sam tells Alexis that she’s financially independent, and doesn’t need the company. She doesn’t want Drew to worry about paying it back, and would rather have a clean break. Alexis says she’s giving up a lot to achieve it, but Sam thinks it’s worth it. It’s better than dragging things out, like… Alexis asks, what? Sam tells her, nothing, but then says, like her and Julian. Alexis wishes she could say Sam was wrong. After the Nurses’ Ball fiasco, Julian was concerned, and made sure she got home. He came back the next day. Alexis says, nothing happened; just a moment, but it’s when she decided she needed therapy. She called Doc. She tells Sam it was just one kiss, and she stopped it; it’s not happening again. She went to see Doc because she can’t take it; the endless loop of her life, and how she keeps repeating the pattern of picking men who are horrible for her.

Drew asks Kim what’s up. She says, him first. She asks about the DNR, questioning there being no attempt to save his life, and just pulling the plug. He asks if she has the habit of going through people’s desks (thank you). She says she came to talk him, and thought he’d already gone. She wants him to think about Oscar. Does he have any idea what Oscar has to lose? He’s just getting to know his father. The procedure is risky, even if he has the flash drive, but he doesn’t. Drew says it’s not going to happen. He’s not going through with it.

Lulu tells Dante obviously, she went over his head with the Peter/Faison thing, and has been apologizing every day. She asks if he’s never made a mistake, and he says not one that resulted in… She tells him to say it; he’s never gotten anyone killed. He says that wasn’t her fault, but she gets so focused she doesn’t consider the consequences. She asks if he’s saying he doesn’t like the way she does her job. He says she doesn’t think things through. She wonders if he’s going to criticize her parenting or wifely duties, but he says he’s just having a conversation, and she’s making him sound like an ass. She says he’s making it really easy. He says he loves her, but doesn’t love her job or what it’s doing to her.

Diane asks if Carly said she found Morgan’s scarf or one that looked like it? Jason says Nelle found a scarf like Morgan’s, tore it, put blood stains and dirt on it, and left it on Carly’s desk. She asks if he saw it, and he says he didn’t because Nelle pulled the fire alarm and it was gone when they came back in. Diane says, again, it’s speculation. He says Nelle was Carly’s assistant. She knows the floor plan, and could avoid the security cameras. He bets that the fire alarm that was pulled is on the same floor as Carly’s office. He adds that Carly had a picture of Morgan wearing the scarf on her desk. Diane says, assuming he’s right, and Nelle orchestrated an elaborate scheme, that would be motive for shoving her down the stairs. He’ll be proving the DA’s case for her.

Lulu says the simple solution is her quitting her job, but Dante isn’t telling her to do that. He just wants her to include him. She asks if the same transparency goes for him. If she includes him on her assignments, he should do the same for her. He says it’s not a fair comparison. He took an oath. She has a code of standards where she should be vetting sources. She’s been a reporter less than six months. Maybe she should take a step back. She says it sounds like quitting. If she did that, she’d only resent him, and it won’t fix the problem.

Curtis tells Jordan that Stella is there, and she asks if running is an option. He says whatever she wants, but she thinks the only way to deal with it is to deal with it. Felix asks if they’d care to join the table, and Curtis thinks it’s a great way to celebrate. Felix tells him that his proposal gutsy and romantic, and congratulates them. Jordan is glad he didn’t slice her in half or make her disappear. Stella knows a good performance, and says his was the best at the Ball. She can’t wait to see what’s next. She toasts to what’s in store.

Kim is surprised Drew isn’t getting the procedure. Drew says it’s thanks to Oscar. She asks if he told Oscar, and he says Oscar doesn’t need to know. He came by to drop off the info about the awards ceremony, and they started talking about Josslyn, Carly being in jail, and how happy he is with the family. He realized that it would be selfish to go through the procedure. As much as he hates having Jason’s memories, he’s not risking his life. Kim thinks it’s the right decision, especially since Oscar needs him more than ever. Drew asks, why?

Alexis tells Sam that her behavior is no mystery; it’s classic. her father didn’t care about her, so she compulsively choose men like him because of unfinished business. She can name it, but can’t fix it. She wants someone to fix her. Doc is going to unpack her emotional baggage, starting with her father, which shouldn’t take long. She barely knew Mikkos. He was distant, intimidating, and had no interest in her. Sam looks at his picture. Alexis says except one time, when she was pregnant with Sam, he intervened. She thought maybe he did care, and was just afraid of what Helena would do, but if the most he could do was to protect her once, what kind of father was he? Sam says they both have a lot to figure out. Alexis says she never thought about him – it was profoundly upsetting – but she’d like to know if there was a sliver of good in him. Sam wonders how she can find out; he’s been dead since the 80s. Alexis says she has a way. Sam asks how many people could be around who knew him, and the doorbell rings. It’s Valentin, and Sam asks Alexis to please tell her that’s not who’s going to help her.

Sonny says he hates Nelle, but the last thing he wants is for Carly to go to prison. Jason wants to prove Nelle is a liar, but Diane says they don’t have it. At least six people, one of them Carly’s mother, heard Carly threaten Nelle. Jason says, fine. He saw Carly today, and they talked about her plea. He told her not to plead insanity.

Alexis tells Sam that Valentin is her historian, and Sam says Luke is more trustworthy. Valentin asks if it’s a bad time. Alexis says, no, and Sam says, it is, and he says he’s getting mixed signals. Sam wants Alexis to understand who she’s dealing with; Valentin and Peter are working together. He’s the one who stood by and watched Peter destroy lives. Valentin says he’s known Peter since child, and Sam says, when he handed Peter over to Faison to get revenge on Anna. Alexis is puzzled, and Sam says Peter is Anna’s son with Faison. She gave him up for adoption, and Valentin tracked the adoptive family down, making them hand Peter over. If he’s willing to be that vile and selfish to a child, imagine what he can do to her?

Lulu tells Dante that he needs to figure out how to find a way to get rid of his anger. She knows she’s not invincible. She did get in over her head with Faison, and let Peter manipulate her. Dante was suspicious, but she didn’t listen to him. Peter told her what she wanted to hear. She trusted him, but she’s not naïve anymore; her eyes are opened. Dante says, next time, some information might be helpful if there’s a police investigation. She says if she’s aware of anything pertinent, she’ll share it with her husband. He says, not the cop?

Kim says Oscar is in the throes of young adulthood. He has a good head on his shoulders, but he’s still figuring things out, and needs guidance. Oscar shows up, and seems miffed that Kim is there. She says she came to tell his dad about the award ceremony. Oscar says he told her that he was going to do that. She says he told her that he was going to clean his room, and she still can’t see the floor. Drew says Oscar is going to be an intern there, and Kim says, so she won’t have him on her hands the whole summer, glued to TV with a phone in his hand? She suggests they celebrate with ribs, and invites Drew along. She says, the night is young; it’s too early to call it quits.

Sonny can’t believe Jason told Carly to change her plea, and Diane says, there goes her defense strategy. Jason says she’s sticking to the plea. She said the same thing about there being more motive. She’d rather do a few months than risk being found guilty. Diane says it makes her nervous the other way. Carly is behaving rationally, and she’s trying to prove Carly is anything but. Sonny says she won’t have to go to prison; that’s what matters. Jason says she’ll be admitting to pushing Nelle and jeopardizing her grandchild. She’ll have to live with it for the rest of her life, when it didn’t happen.

Jordan and Stella are left alone at the table. Stella looks at Jordan’s ring, and asks if she’s pleased. Jordan says, very. Almost as pleased as she was to get Stella’s blessing. She knows things between them need to be repaired, but she’s not giving up. Stella tells her not to pressure herself. Things work out if they’re meant to.

At the bar, Drew congratulates Curtis. Curtis tells Drew that he was talking to Sam. She wants to get back into the PI business, and he suggested they partner up. There’s nothing solid, but he thinks it’s going to happen, and wants him to be aware. Drew thinks it’s a good move. There’s no one better. Curtis doesn’t want it to come between them, but Drew says, they’re good.

Valentin says he’s not denying delivering the baby to Faison, but he’s regretted every day since. Sam asks if that’s why he helped Peter escape, but Valentin says Peter pushed him into the cell and locked it. He has a better question. Why were the security cameras disabled, and where was the guard? She doesn’t have to answer. Valentin shows Alexis an envelope, saying it’s the initial payment from his primary source. It’s about Mikkos, and he thinks it will be valuable. Sam says Alexis doesn’t have to do this, but Alexis says, it’s the only option, but she will consider the source. Sam tells her to be careful. She tells Valentin that he has a lot of enemies. If he does anything to hurt Alexis, she’ll be his worst one.

Dante tells Lulu that they’re back to where they started. He can’t look other way if something is unethical. Lulu says they’ll figure it out together. It’s called compromise, and it’s what marriage is about. Dante says, why not? They’ve worked well together in the past. They seal the deal with a kiss.

Diane says Jason should be pleased that Carly is pleading not guilty, but he thinks they should be proving she’s innocent. Diane says she can present facts. She can’t prove Carly is innocent. Jason says, but she can prove Carly is insane? Diane says, no; not in her right mind, but she’ll need him to attest that there were no visible signs of a break-in, and that there were signs Carly was losing her grip. Jason says she wasn’t. Diane says if he says that Carly is responsible for her actions, and she gets convicted, how will he feel? He tells her not to call him then, but she says she doesn’t have a choice. Sonny asks Jason what Carly said when he saw her. Jason tells him that she said she’s going to do this and needs him to back her. Sonny says, then back her. Jason says he’s not going to lie and say Carly is crazy, because she’s not. Sonny glares at him.

Dante and Lulu make out on the couch. Lulu thinks they still have it, but they’ll know for sure next time their jobs cross paths. Dante says they’re off to a good start.

Jordan and Curtis are at the table alone. Curtis asks if Jordan is pleased at how things turned out, and she hopes it’s okay at the wedding. They just have to set a date. Stella sits with Kim, and asks about one of her clients. Kim says they’re doing great, and compliments Curtis on the great proposal; it was one for the ages. Stella says, enjoy while it lasts. Not every engagement ends in a wedding. A lot can happen in between now and then.

Oscar and Drew play pool. Drew tells Oscar to always ask for more work; it shows initiative and gives you more experience. Oscar promises he won’t take advantage of being the boss’s son. Drew says he started it for his family.

Sam brings a box to Drew’s office. His assistant, who must be getting tired of this constant traffic, says Drew left a while ago. Sam asks her to make sure he gets this, and gives her an envelope.

Alexis gives Valentin some paperwork, and says in the event of a tragedy, the bulk of his assets will go to Charlotte. He thanks her, and tells her that he’s given her the initial payment, but there’s more where that comes from. He’ll hand it over once the change is complete. She tells him that she’s changed her mind; she doesn’t want his help. He tells her if she changes her mind, she knows where to find him. She says she doesn’t want the envelope, and he tells her to throw it away.

When Valentin is gone, Alexis puts the envelope in the fireplace. She strikes a match, but just stands there with it, aflame in her hand.

Tomorrow, Obrecht tells Peter they have an eventful morning ahead, Carly asks whose testimony they need to worry about, and Nelle tells Michael that she’s being called to testify against Carly.

The Haves and The Have Nots

When we last left, Veronica had just walked in on Justin and Jeffrey getting busy at David’s condo.

Veronica’s eyes practically pop out, and she says she’s going to be sick. Jeffrey says, good. She’d hoped he’d changed. He’d hoped she did. He tells her to get her ass out of there. She’s shocked he’d do this disgusting act in front of her. He says he didn’t know she was there, but if she wants to stay, they’re going to continue. She says he’s really like this, and he says, yes, he’s gay; where has she been his whole life? She doesn’t know what to say. Justin suggests goodbye and I laugh. She thinks Justin is making him like this, but Jeffrey says he was born this way, and get her ass out. She’s done all the damage she can do. She says she came to help him, but he says, no, she didn’t. She says she came out of the kindness of her heart, but he says she doesn’t have any. She brought the affidavit for him to sign, and he asks if it’s the one where he’s supposed to give up Benny. She thinks he must be screwing Benny too. What she just witnessed – that’s it. She asks what’s wrong with him? He says he put knife in her one time, and asks if she wants to try again. She says, this girl (meaning Justin) is making him bold. Jeffrey says she’s making him bold. He’s sick of her. She begs him to come home, and then starts screaming her head off. She asks him to come, but he just sits there. She says she can fix this, and leaves, shutting the door behind her.

Landon goes over the schedule with Charles. He asks if Charles is okay, and Charles says, yes. He tells Charles he’ll be good at this, but Charles says, it’s sleeping alone. All he can think about is Candace. Landon wonders what the hell she did to him. Charles asks if Landon never had a crazy crush. He doesn’t know what it is. There’s the sex, but there’s also something he can’t explain. He knows she’s bad for him, but doesn’t care. Landon knows that feeling. Charles says he wants her here and now. They can clean her up, and he knows he can make her happy. Landon says, if Charles says so, and asks if he’s sure. Charles isn’t ready to give up on her, and asks if they can set it up. Make sure every scheme she’s running, fails. Landon says he’ll get his team on it. He’ll have to go old school on this one. Whatever that means.

Jeffrey tells Justin to stop for a minute. Justin says Veronica makes him crazy. Jeffrey wonders how she knew they were there, and Justin says she’s probably having him followed. He tells Jeffrey to relax. He’s here for him. Jeffrey asks who Justin thinks he is to him, but Justin thinks Jeffrey should answer that. Jeffrey refuses, and Justin says that Jeffrey is his. Jeffrey says he already told Justin that he isn’t, and thinks he should leave. He says it’s a mistake. He had a weak moment, and they had sex; that’s it. Justin says he’s not leaving – ever. Jeffrey says he’s not scared of Justin, and to stop with the threats. Justin says it’s not a threat. He’s gone too far, and given up so much. He can’t go back now. Whether Jeffrey wants to admit it or not, they’re together for life. Justin says he’ll make dinner.

Since I can find no info whatsoever on this character, we’ll call him LJ – for his alias Leslie Jackmore. LJ is in hotel room of the guy he picked up in the bar. He tells dude to turn around and bend over. When he does, LJ takes his wallet. He looks at the ID, and sees dude works at a college. Dude asks what LJ wants, and LJ says that’s a loaded question. Dude asks if his evil bitch wife is doing this, and LJ says, no, the evil bitch is him. He wants all dude’s money, and his watch. Dude says his father gave it to him (reminding me of Bob Balaban in Midnight Cowboy). LJ says he guesses he’s dude’s daddy now. Dude threatens to go to the police, but LJ says he’ll claim dude tried to rape him and took advantage. Dude is going to take the cards that LJ is letting him have, and get him ten grand. Dude says he’s not from there, but LJ tells him to figure it out quick. He takes dude’s ID, saying If he doesn’t, he’ll be on the news for taking advantage of a young kid. Dude says she really wanted it, but LJ says, not today, and leaves.

Oscar’s phone rings. It’s Jim, who says the money isn’t in his account. Oscar says, it is; he’s looking at the confirm. Jim doesn’t give a rat’s ass; he has no money. Oscar asks if Jim is playing games to get out of giving him the commission. Jim asks for the number, and Oscar says, it’s the Cryer Company. Jim says that’s not the account number he sent, and tells Oscar to check his text. Oscar says, sh*t; he’s right. He’ll have to call the bank and try to sort it out. Jim says he’d better do it now. Oscar wonders what the Cryer Company is. Jim doesn’t know, but it’s not his. Oscar hangs up and says, dammit! That’s what Candace was doing. Yep.

Kathryn tells Jim they need to talk about Wyatt. He says they always need to talk about Wyatt. They tried to cover up his crime, and he turned on them. Now that they have his money, he’s going to be madder. Jim says they can’t cover it up; he needs to pay for this. These are Malones, and they’ll kill him. Kathryn asks who the Malones are (really? and she’s from a prominent family?), and Jim says, the mob; they’re not playing around. These people don’t give a second chance. Wyatt is as good as dead. Kathryn says she’ll talk to him, and try to reach him. Jim says she’s been trying for twenty-seven years; good luck. She says he’s her only living child. She has to try. Jim says Wyatt is his only living child too. He tells her to knock herself out, but not to get her hopes up. She says she always has hope.

Hanna and Derek finish watching a movie. She says, good choice, and thanks him for dinner. He asks if she’s putting him out. She says it wasn’t planned, and she has work to do. He tells her it’s hard to leave. He doesn’t know what it is, but it’s like he knows her, and don’t act like she doesn’t feel it. She says she’s enjoying him, but they agreed to take it slow. She kisses him goodbye, and Benny walks in, saying, not this again. Derek leaves, and Hanna tells Benny he has business upstairs. Benny says Hanna let he stay, but Hanna says he shouldn’t have brought her. He’s too old to be laying with a girl and letting go. He says she’s too old to have a dude slobbering over her. He doesn’t like Derek. Hanna says he wouldn’t like anyone she dated, and go deal with Melissa. There’s a knock at the door.

Candace asks if she’s here, and suggests she and Benny talk outside. He tells her there’s no need, and she can talk in front of their mom. She says she wants to stop, but she needs to talk in private. Hanna says Benny will just tell her anyway, but leaves. Candace says Benny is the only one she trusts. She needs him to hold some money in his account. Hers is being watched, and she has to move it; it’s legit. He asks if she means like his tow yard and house were legit. He knows it’s one of her tricks and he’ll regret it, but says, fine. She says it’s a few thousand, and to text the number. He tells her that he has $85 in there, and needs it. She promises not to take it, and he texts the number.

Hanna comes back and asks what Candace wanted, but Benny says, nothing important. He asks for the car. Hanna says as soon as he tells her, and he says he’ll call Mitch. She tells him he has to do something about this girl. He slept with her, she’s pregnant and put out; he’s not leaving her on the street. He says it’s not his baby or problem. Melissa is suddenly there, and says, that’s right; she’s not. Hanna says she’s not a problem; she’s in a situation. Benny asks why Hanna is being nice to her, and Hanna makes him apologize. She says he will help her, because someone did for them when she was pregnant with him. A stranger helped until she got on her feet, and they’re going to help Melissa. Melissa doesn’t mean to be a burden. Hanna says she’s not, and they’ll figure it out when Benny gets back. Benny drops the loan shark money he’s been carrying, and Hanna wants to know where he got it. Melissa says it’s hers; she didn’t want Veronica to take it, so she gave it to Benny to hold. Hanna says she can get a place then. Melissa says she can, and Benny hands her the money. As soon as Hanna is gone, Melissa teases him, saying she’s not giving it back, but she does. He says when he gets back, they’ll look into getting her a place. She calls him big daddy, and says he’s got enough money.

On the phone with the bank, Wyatt says they’re supposed to protect his money. There’s a knock at the door, and Kathryn comes in. She sees he hasn’t calmed down. She tells him that his father has the money; it’s for his own good. He’s incapable of handling it. He’s high and angry; let them help him. He says they’re going to jail. He’s testifying against them. She says he left a man dead in a bar. Wyatt says he’ll tell the police that his dad covered it up. If he goes down, so does Jim. Kathryn asks why he can’t pull it together, and he says it’s because his parents try to control him. Kathryn says they’re trying to help, and he says, then give him the money. She refuses, and he tells her for his sake, and Amanda’s, she should leave. He wishes the cancer had killed her. She asks how he knew, and he says he knows a lot of things. If he can’t bury them in prison, he’ll kill them. She says he doesn’t mean that, and he tells her to stay there and see. She walks out, and he says, don’t come back.

There’s a knock at Candace’s door. It’s Gia, followed by Rocky and LJ, Rocky says they shouldn’t be seen together. Candace says she knows that; that’s why they’re in the room. She tells them she’s getting out of the game. Rocky says she started it, but she says she can’t do it forever. She came up. Rocky asks, how, and she says it’s not their concern. Gia asks what she’s supposed to do; Candace taught her how to do what she does. Candace tells them to keep doing what she taught them. Make it bigger, and grow it. That’s it; she’s out. She tells them to keep the money from last time, and Rocky says she really must have come up. LJ asks how they can follow in her footsteps. Candace tells Gia that Jim is a sure thing; the well runs deep with money. Work it; stick with him. LJ isn’t down with the guys, and she says he must know plenty of women; older, desperate, rich, and lonely. Make this make sense. She tells them to leave now, but she’ll always be there for information. LJ says they had something going; they were making real money. She tells him to pace himself. Impatience is his problem. When Gia and LJ are gone, Rocky says they were in this together, and he wants his cut. She says he took a picture. How much does he think it’s worth? Thirty bucks?  He says she’s really going to be like this, and she says she is. She tells him to get out, and make sure don’t say a word. She asks if his visa is still intact. She says they’re hustlers. There’s no honor in the game. Rocky says he’ll remember that. When she’s alone, Candace says, she’s out.

David and Erika say a bunch of boring stuff. She tells him she needs a break. She’s had more sex in the past week than in her entire life. It’s been good, but too much. He tells her that he’s sorry. The only woman he’s ever been with is – Erika says, don’t say her name; she’ll appear. He says, that woman is the only one he’s been this intimate with, but she’s different, better. He tells her to hold on, and goes downstairs. Erika follows.

David says he needs to check something. He feels around the furniture and knickknacks, and pulls something out of a vase. Erika asks if it’s a bug, and he says it is, and it’s not the only one. He keeps checking, and finds two more. Erika wonders if there are any others, and he says, possibly. Erika says, she’s ruthless; he knows how to pick them. He says he picked her, but she’s the right one. He says they’re probably being listened to, and Erika prompts him to go upstairs. He thought she needed a break, but she says it’s never too much when she’s with him. They hear an explosion out front.

Outside, both cars are on fire. Erika says, she’s really insane, and David says, she doesn’t know the half of it. Veronica drives away, and Erica calls the fire department.

Benny goes to the dive bar, and sees the dead dealer on the floor. He asks if the guy is all right, but a dude comes out, and says they’re not open until seven. He asks what Benny is doing there, and sees the dead guy. Benny says he didn’t do it. The guy pulls out a gun, telling him not to move. He’s calling the police.

Next time, Oscar confronts Candace, Justin threatens Jeffrey, and Veronica comes on to Derek. No, Derek, no.

Below Deck Mediterranean

Captain Sandy says Hannah isn’t being fair, doing preference sheets for the next charter, while there are still guests on board from this one. Hannah tells her that she was up until four getting the dents and dirt from the guests’ heels out of the carpet. She promises she’s trying her best, and leaves in tears. In her interview, the captain says the client is paying money for the full attention of the crew. Breakfast is cleared, and the garbage is taken out. Hannah cries in the bathroom. In her interview, she says to be spoken to that way after 18-hour days, and provisioning when she should be sleeping, is bullsh*t.

The guests get ready to leave. Hannah tells the stews to strip the beds when they’re gone. One guest wonders why her stuff isn’t fitting in the suitcase now. I identify, but that’s usually because I bought a bunch of crap. Captain Sandy calls the crew to the deck for goodbyes. In her interview, Captain Sandy says Jennifer didn’t complain, but she must have noticed breakfast service was bad. Jennifer says they had a good time, even if she didn’t get to see Sandy drive. She gives the captain an envelope, and it’s twenty minutes to the tip meeting.

The captain says she usually starts on a high note; however, this was the worst breakfast service ever in her experience on charters. She tells Adam is was thirty minutes before she got her omelet, and she didn’t get her toast until after sh was finished. Breakfast is the start of the day, and sets the mood for the client. In her interview, Hannah thinks Captain Sandy is frustrated because she didn’t get to drive the boat, and show her friends what she could do. Adam says, what about the dinner, but the captain isn’t having it. In his interview, Adam says he carried the charter, and a piece of toast negated twenty-eight meals. We see the mass quantity of things he had to cook and bake. The captain says it was the deck, as well as the interior. Not having the tender was a big one. She doesn’t want to have to tell Conrad what he needs to do. The tip is 12,000 euros. I miss how much that is each because my mind goes blank when she says euros.

On the bridge, Adam tells Captain Sandy that it has nothing to do with him; the toast was ready. She asks if he didn’t get the order, and he says they were coming late. Hannah overhears, and says it’s a crock of sh*t. If Adam is going to throw the interior under the bus, she’ll throw him twice as fast, and he’ll be hit twice as hard. The captain tells Adam that he took it personally. It’s not like she said he sucked at making toast. The crew cleans up. Conrad tells Kasey about his scars and injuries, because she likes scars. Adam says he has some from chicken pox.

The crew gets ready to go out. Cool. Here’s where they get drunk and stupid. They go to a sushi place. Brooke almost mistakes soy sauce for a shot. João swills wine, while saying as long as he sticks to gin and tonics, he’ll remember everything. In her interview, Kasey says he’s flirting with her and Brooke, but she keeps thinking of the guy he could be. Well, move on from those thoughts, because he’s not going to be. Adam says it’s a good restaurant; the service is excellent. Hannah excuses herself, annoyed by his comment.

Conrad follows Hannah, who tells him about Adam lying to the captain, and calling him rude and disrespectful. She says she’s letting it go or it will be an issue next charter. In her interview, she says she picks her battles with Adam. We find out Kasey plays the violin. João says he likes both Brooke and Kasey. Outside, Conrad tells Hannah about his father who was an example of what not to be. He blamed Conrad for the marital problems with Conrad’s stepmother. He and Hannah hug, and they go back in. The crew goes back to the boat. What? No drunken nightmarish rants?

Hannah sits on the deck, and Conrad joins her. They agree they like talking to each other. In his interview, Conrad says he sees another side to Hannah. It’s soft and nice, but you don’t screw the crew. She asks if they’re buddies, and he says he likes her. He takes a while to warm up. He kisses her on the cheek and hugs her; then moves in for a real kiss. I dunno. This could end badly.

Kasey says leaving the dock is her make it or break it moment. If she gets sick, she’ll have to leave, even though she doesn’t want to. Kasey calls João a wild card, and he calls her a mind f*ck. Brooke likes him, but sees them flirting. She reminds herself that she said she needed space, whether she half-meant it or not. Hannah tells Kasey not to put her delicates in the dryer again. Oh hell no.

The primary’s name is Honey, and she’s having a birthday with her closest friends and family. She’s kosher, and Adam says kosher meat is super expensive. It’s not just a diet, it’s a diet and religion. Honey also wants a Great Gatsby themed party. The guests are all big tequila drinkers, and have requested 1942. I wouldn’t know one tequila from another, since I hate tequila. The usual water toys are requested as well. Supplies are ordered and picked up. Hannah thinks the guests will be high maintenance, and she doesn’t trust vegans. One is vegan, and she doesn’t trust vegans. João asks Kasey if Jamie is helping her, but she hasn’t seen Jamie. Apparently, she overslept, so he hunts her down and gets on her for not working when rest of them are, telling her that she has an attitude problem. He says if Conrad isn’t there, he needs to know what she’s doing. In her interview, she wishes instead of being cocky, he’d just find her and tell her that she’s needed. She forgets, that would be the mature thing.

Brooke says she’s a hopeless romantic. I have to say it – and Kasey is just hopeless. BA-DUM-CHH! Brooke’s grandparents were married at sixteen, and have been together for a million years. Jamie cries on the dock, and Hannah sits by her. She’d been talking to her mom on the phone, and tells Hannah that she tries so hard. Hannah says she’s superwoman, and saved her ass. In her interview, Jamie says being the only female, it’s hard to keep up with the egos. Her parents run an auto shop together, and she says the workers still only went to her father when they had questions. Hannah gives her a hug, and tells her how great she is, and not to let anyone tell her different.

Hannah tells Conrad about the incident, that Jamie accidentally fell asleep, and João acted like an ass. The meat is delivered. In his interview, Adam says he once had a kosher guest who insisted that all meat products be removed from boat. The meat was worth a lot of money, and this has him nervous. Brooke reads out loud from a romance story. Conrad talks to João and Jamie. João whines that Jamie slept in extra, and Conrad says in the future, come to him. João is there to make sure the work gets done when Conrad isn’t around, but he’s not to tell someone off. Conrad is the one who dishes out the sh*t, João says Conrad talks about the hierarchy, but he doesn’t give João the status when he’s off the boat. Brooke is excited about Conrad and Hannah’s kiss. She thinks they’re a cute couple. Hannah hopes it doesn’t blow up in her face. In her interview, Hannah says yacht crushes aren’t a normal situation where you can date. The crew unloads the slide, and Captain Sandy says, team work makes the dream work, because she’s tired of using, let’s knock it out of the park. Brooke talks to Adam about a scouting party she’s planning. She likes chefs because they’re passionate and sensitive. Or in Adam’s case, immature and too sensitive.

The guests arrive, and ask for tequila shots instead of champagne, but it’s the wrong kind. The tequila is Don Julio, and Hannah says, note to self, there’s more than one 1942 out there. Again, I wouldn’t know. The luggage is brought in. The guests demand a tour, and ask if no one cares about them anymore. One guest asks if anyone cares that she has to pee. First the tequila, now this. Rich people’s problems. Hannah brings them chilled shots, and gives the tour. It’s always the part where I want to move permanently on to the boat. Honey is nervous about the food, and wants to talk to Adam. They’re ready to roll.

Honey explains that if she eats poultry or meat, she can’t have dairy for several hours. No one else is kosher. Adam gives suggestions. Hannah asks Kasey to clear the bar. Kasey says the medication is making her feel like a zombie. Hannah is calling about the tequila, and the guests whine that no one is there to help them unpack. The weather is fabulous, and the water as blue as possible. João suggests Kasey eat some bread. She tells herself not to be sick. Seeing the villages on the hills is breathtaking.

Conrad and Colin drop anchor. Colin says a yacht anchor is heavier than those on other boats, and can cause damage. Brooke announces lunch is ready. The guests say they’ll be drinking tequila with everything. As always, the table is beautifully set, in green with a touch of gold. One dude gripes about having Chinese chicken salad for lunch, and asks about the ETA on the 1942 tequila. Another guest wants to know what kind of lunch Chinese chicken salad is. I’ll remember that the next time I order it. Honey says they’re starving, and want pasta. Captain Sandy asks Adam how it’s going, and he says, apparently, it’s a five-course lunch. He makes some massive bowls of rigatoni, and pasta with shrimp for Honey. Someone else wants Alfredo sauce, and Adam says he’s never had this many ridiculous orders. The vegan guest wants to stay there and eat all day. Crap. I can’t even keep up with the requests. Adam needs Hannah to deal with the guests. Conrad tells them the slide will be loud when they set it up. João knows exactly how to do it, and thinks Conrad doesn’t know how. Honey eats three bites of the pasta and is full.

Hannah can’t believe how slowly Kasey is washing the dishes, and is going to lose her mind. She says Kasey doesn’t get the speed they need to work at. Captain Sandy says it’s not about coddling Adam, but giving him support. A guest bombards Adam with questions about dinner, and Adam says he’s just trying to follow the preference sheets as closely as possible. The captain says he’s one guy, and most boats have a set menu, and only provide for that. The guest admits that it could be they didn’t say enough, and asks for a surf and turf dinner. Then adds another 45,000 things, including a cake for Honey’s birthday. Adam says he’s screwed.

The guests use the water toys. Captain Sandy sends Conrad to pick up provisions. Hannah snatches the tequila from his hand as soon as he gets back. Adam says everyone eats something different, and half of them don’t eat same thing. He’s running out of pots,

Conrad says the guests want everything, then change their minds ten minutes later. In her interview, Hannah says she’s tired of emotionally unavailable guys. Conrad is a nice change. The guests ask to delay the dinner from 9 pm to 9:30. Adam hates these people, and says Hannah is a space cadet, making a bad situation worse. Brooke flirts with Colin, who pleads guilty of having a crush on her. He says she’s a breath of fresh air. They good around and look at photos. Hannah asks Kasey to do some chores, and wants to throw in some Adderall to get her moving.

Adam has just plated some incredible tuna tartare, and the guests are late. Hannah thinks she should have married for money when she was younger. Brooke says she could live in a van if she loved someone. It’s almost 11 pm, and Adam wonders why Hannah can’t manipulate the guests. Seriously, wtf? Hannah says there’s no sign of the guests.

Next time, João thinks Kasey is hot, Brooke thinks Adam is cute, a fire alarm sounds, and Captain Sandy is pissed.

💵 On Sell It Like Serhant, Ryan helped Jen, a struggling skincare salesperson at Scrubz in Farmingdale, Long Island. She wasn’t making a connection with the customers, had no enthusiasm, was withdrawn, and had terrible eye contact. Even better, she was living with her boyfriend’s mother, who was also her boss. Ryan had never seen anyone who needed his help more, but Jen resisted his help the most of anyone. He told her that when she told him off and walked away, it was the most powerful he’d seen her. She finally explained that her father had passed away two years ago. They were very close, especially since he’d been sick for years. He was also the glue who held the family together, and once he died, the world felt different, and was never going to be the same again. When they should have come together, the family fell apart. Ryan taught her communication skills, and how to steer a customer to the right product. She gained confidence, and not only did her boss keep her, she offered to set up Jen with her own business within the business. She’d already been doing facials, and would be adding waxing and makeup, as well as getting commission on any product she sold while performing services. Ryan wasn’t sure what happened, but said it was awesome. Jen allowed herself to be her again. Jen said Ryan helped her realize she can do anything if she puts her mind to it, and she knew her dad would be proud. Ryan finally got me choked up when he said he didn’t want anyone to feel the way Jen had, and he started to get teary. He says it made him feel good that she doesn’t have to feel that way, and it was the whole reason he did the show in the first place. This was the finale, and I hope they give it another season. It’s a feel-good show, without being sappy, and I can’t think of a better guy to have this gig.

June 3, 2018 – Nelle Visits Carly, a Salad of Shows, a Tee-Hee & a Dance

Standard

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

The doorbell rings at the Quartermaine’s. Nelle answers. It’s Sonny, and she tells him Michael isn’t there. He wants to see her, but she says it’s not a good time. She’s trying to rest. Kim advised her to avoid stress for the baby’s sake. He thinks it might be time for a nice little chat.

On the phone, Josslyn asks if Oscar is standing her up. He says, never, but there’s something he needs to take care of. He sits at the visiting window, and Carly sits down on the other side of the glass.

Drew leaves a message for Andre. He took a day to consider the risks, and still wants to do it. He asks Andre to get back to him with the time, and he’ll be there. He looks at the DNR.

At the hospital, Chase tells Epiphany that he needs to talk to Maxie, and promises to be brief. Finn sees him, and asks if there’s something he can help with. Epiphany tells them they can help each other on their own time, not hers, and leaves. Chase asks Finn how it’s going, and Finn tells him, don’t make it weird, and asks why he’s there. Chase tells him that Peter escaped, and they’re pulling out all the stops. Finn is like, what?!

Anna tells Maxie that the letter was recovered from Peter’s hotel room. He wrote it to her.

Peter yells for help. We see a pair of heels, and the camera pans up until we see it’s Nina. He says, she did this to him?

Nelle tells Sonny that Monica is still there, but he says her car isn’t. Nelle says even if she left, there are plenty of servants around. She tells him to state his business, and be on his way. She’s not a hostess; she’s a guest. He says she seems at home there, and she says it was generous of Monica to let her stay there. Michael moving back to help with the baby is a bonus. He says she finally got what she wanted. Maybe it’s time to pay it forward. She was wondering when he was getting to the subject of Carly.

Carly asks Oscar if everything is okay, and wonders how he got in, since he’s a minor. He shows her a fake ID, and she says he looks young for someone born in 1997. He jokes that he gets that a lot. She’s impressed, and asks why he’s there. He says he has a message from Josslyn.

Mike and Felix play checkers. Mike asks if Felix is letting him win, and Felix says, never. When he plays, he plays to win. Mike makes a winning move, saying he might not remember much, but he remembers how to play checkers. Josslyn comes in, and says it looks like they’re getting along. Mike says Felix is a big step up from the other nurses Sonny has hired; he doesn’t talk to Mike like he’s five. Felix wonders if he’s being hustled. Mike asks if Josslyn is a friend of Michael’s, and Felix says she’s Carly’s daughter. Mike says, of course, and apologizes for not remembering. Josslyn says plenty of people ask her just who she thinks she is all the time. Mike says she’s her mother’s daughter, all right. He likes Carly, and wonders where she’s keeping herself these days.

Maxie says Anna might have unfinished business with her son, but she doesn’t want to see or hear from him again. Anna says he was on the run, but felt it was important enough to leave the letter for her. She leaves Maxie with the letter.

Chase tells Finn that Anna was immediately made aware that Peter escaped. As Finn leaves, Chase tells him, catch you later, bro. Finn runs into Anna, and says he knows about Peter. She says part of her is worried they’ll find him, and part of her is terrified they never will.

Peter asks Nina, why; what does she want? She says she wants her brother back. Peter says, he’s sorry, but she tells him that he doesn’t get to apologize. He used Maxie’s trust. The scrapbook wasn’t filled with mementos, but trophies, and he sat there, a few feet away from where Nathan was killed. It should have been him. She starts to scream at him, saying that somewhere, in the depths of hell, Faison is proud of him. He’s sick, and knows where he deserves to be right now.

Nelle tells Sonny if she could alter her statement, she would, but Carly’s fate is in the hands of the legal system now. He says now that she’s recovered, and her memory is clear, Nelle knows she fell; it was an accident. Nelle says, but it wasn’t. She knows how hard it is to hear – it’s hard for her to say – but Carly pushed her deliberately. She could have killed the baby. Sonny says the baby is fine. She was confused, but thinking clearly now. She can change her statement, and any bad blood will be forgotten. She’ll never want for anything. Nelle thinks everything will be fine even if she doesn’t give a false testimony. He asks what she wants, and she says she wants what’s best for her family. If she alters her statement, and Carly gets out before she gets the help she needs, she won’t feel safe, or feel the baby is safe. It’s best for everyone, Carly included.

Carly asks Oscar what Josslyn wants her to know, and he says she’s fine and still cares about Carly. After he told her that he was coming, she said no matter what happened, she loves Carly. Carly says it’s sweet, even if it’s not true.

Josslyn tells Felix that Sonny is grateful he’s there, and her mom would be too. Felix says he usually doesn’t put his nose where it doesn’t belong, and she says, but he’s going to. He says she is just like her mother. She wishes people would stop saying that. Felix says Carly is fierce, loyal, and magnificent; so is she. So she’s in the best position to do with Carly what he’s doing with Mike. Playing checkers? Josslyn says, put herself in Carly’s shoes.

Monica comes by Drew’s office. She says he must be swamped. She hears he’s practically running Aurora by himself. He says, bad news travels fast. She also hears he’s sleeping in the hotel, but he doesn’t have to. He’s welcome at the house. After all, it is his family home. He says living at the hotel isn’t bad, and the commute is super easy. She says she knows when she’s being brushed off, and he tells her that she’s not being brushed; he appreciates the offer. She tells him to just remember he’ll always have a place, no matter what. He thanks her.

Chase asks Anna if there’s been any update from the WSB on Peter’s whereabouts. She says, nothing yet, but the Bureau will keep them posted. Chase leaves, and Anna tells Finn, not right now, but maybe one day he can explain the whole family thing. He says it’s long story, and she says she has a twin sister on the run, so he won’t get any sympathy. He asks if she’s worried that she’ll never see her son again. She says, even if he’s brought to justice, she doesn’t think he’ll want to see a mother he despises.

Maxie opens the letter. Peter says he won’t make worse trying to justify or defend himself. There’s a lot she doesn’t know about the past that determined his future. He never meant to hurt her. He knows it sounds shallow, but it’s true. He wishes he had known Nathan, and wishes he could be there when Nathan’s child becomes as fine a man as Nathan was. He hopes she finds peace, and wishes it with all his heart. Chase walks in.

Peter tells Nina that he’s nothing like his father. If she read The Severed Branch, she’d know how hard fought against him. Nina says, honesty would have brought him down. He and Nathan could have teamed up. Peter says he didn’t know their brother, and Nina says, her brother. To him, Nathan is nothing but a scrapbook, got it? He does. He says Faison is dead now, and he promises to stay away from Maxie. She says they both know he’ll be away from Maxie forever. The person who did this will make sure of it. Peter says, if she didn’t do it, who did? A shadow covers the doorway.

Sonny tells Nelle he figured it would go like this. She says if it was just her, she’d gladly change her statement, but she’s concerned for the baby’s safety. He says she’s gotta do what she’s gotta do, and so will he. She asks what that means, and he thinks it’s clear. She asks if he’s threatening her, and he says he doesn’t threaten. She asks if he just makes it sound like a threat. He says she did what she could to get into the family, and she got her wish. The Corinthos family looks out for each other. He tells her, welcome to the family. No kiss of death though.

Carly tells Oscar that she knows Josslyn has no idea he’s there, and he admits she doesn’t. He says he’s telling her when he gets back, so it’s not like he lied. She says she used to use that excuse. He asks if it works, and she says it’s about 50/50. He says he’s not lying about how Josslyn feels, and she’s upset. Carly says, stubborn, and he says that too. She wonders where Josslyn gets I from. Oscar says he thought she should know, and Carly says it’s very sweet of him. She’s not mad, but would like him to do her a favor. When he leaves, go straight to Josslyn. She feels better knowing he’s looking out for her.

Drew tells Monica that he’s not saying no, but she says he didn’t exactly say yes. He doesn’t know what’s going on right now; things are in a whirlwind, and he doesn’t know where he’ll land. She tells him that her door is always open, adding, that’s not true; it’s locked, but she wants her son to have the key. She presses the key into his hand, saying, remember, her house is always his home.

Chase says, sorry; he didn’t mean to impose. Maxie says, that’s okay; he’s a cop, and it’s what he does. She asks if he wants to know if she’s heard from Peter, and says the letter has been his only contact. Anna said the PCPD has the original, so they already know what it says. Chase supposes she’s not buying Peter’s apology. She says she’d rather buy a used Pinto. Epiphany joins them, telling Chase he’d better not be upsetting her patient, but Maxie says he’s making her feel better.

Obrecht says, good. Nina got her text. Nina asks if she means the one that said go to the cabin; she has a surprise for her? Obrecht asks if she was surprised. She asks Nina what’s wrong, and Nina says besides her kidnapping a man and holding him in the middle of nowhere? Obrecht asks where is she supposed to hold someone hostage; the MetroCourt? Nina says, now she’s an accessory. Obrecht asks who’s going to tell? Henrik won’t tell a soul. He says his name is Peter, and Obrecht grabs an ax, and says there’s nothing he can do to stop her. Nina laughs, saying it’s funny, but she knows it’s not a laughing matter. Obrecht swings the ax down toward Peter.

Finn asks Anna if Robert is joining her to visit Robin. She says he’s on his way to Europe, besides it’s up to her to explain how Robin has a brother that was hidden away her entire life. Anna says it would be ironic for her to find her son, only to lose him, and lose her daughter too.

Finn says Anna and Robin mean the world to each other, and there’s nothing to forgive. Anna says Robin is a mother and a doctor, and she’s hidden a huge part of her life. It could break their trust. Finn tells Anna how great she is, saying all of the superlatives are escaping him, but she can’t do other people’s thinking for them. It didn’t work out when she did it with him; don’t do it to her daughter. She gets into the elevator, and he asks if she’s forgetting something. She runs down her list, and he says, what about this? and kisses her. She says she’ll add that to her travel checklist, and won’t forget again. The elevator doors close.

Epiphany asks if Chase got what he came for, and he says he thinks so. He leaves, and she says Maxie is on her way out too. She’s on her way to get a wheelchair. She hopes she won’t embarrass Maxie on her way out, but Maxie says she wouldn’t have any other way. When Epiphany is gone, Maxie looks at the letter again, and crumples it.

We see the ax embedded in the wall. Peter is cringing, and Obrecht says, better in the wall than in his cerebellum. Nina asks for a word, and they go outside. She asks if Obrecht has an end game or is she making it up as she goes? The WSB and PCPD are looking for him. Obrecht says what happens if they find him? He’ll cut a deal and slip away. Nathan’s death will be unavenged. They have to take matters into their own hands. Nina asks what that means, and Obrecht says, what does she think?

Oscar visits Drew’s office to invite him to the awards ceremony at school. He asks about the summer internship. Drew apologizes, saying he forgot, but will get right on it. Oscar understands, and if he can’t make it to the ceremony, that’s cool too. He says he’ll let Drew get back to work, and Drew says, or he could tell him why he’s there. He could have texted him with the information, but here he is. Oscar says he could use some fatherly advice. Drew asks if it’s about Josslyn. Oscar says, partly, and her mom.

Mike asks if Felix knows Sonny. He does; Sonny hired him. Mike says he was just testing him. He says Sonny looks out for him now, but there was a time when he looked out for Sonny, whether Sonny knew it or not. Felix says that was fatherly of him. Mike says, like the time he moved the guy from Croton. Felix says, he helped a friend move? and Mike says he moved him closer to home.

The guard brings Carly back to the visitor room, and Nelle is there. Nelle says, long time, no see. She came by to see how Carly was doing, since it’s not the Ritz. Carly says maybe she’ll see for herself one day, and asks what prompted the concern for her well-being. Nelle says Sonny stopped by to chat about family, and congratulated her on being a part of theirs. Carly bets he was super welcoming. Nelle says it got her thinking how everyone is rallying around her, and wanted Carly to know that she’s taking great care of her grandchild. Carly says she wouldn’t expect less. Nelle doesn’t want to worry her, but Josslyn is beside herself. She wants Carly to know that she’ll be there for Josslyn if she needs to talk or needs someone to listen. They’re very close. Speaking of which, Michael is moving back to the Quartermaine’s so he can be there for her and the baby. All those times Carly told Nelle that she’d never have her son? She was wrong.

Sonny asks Felix if he warned him that his dad was a shark. Felix says he realized it, but only his pride has taken a beating. He says Mike has great stories, and Sonny asks if there are any he hasn’t heard. Felix starts to repeat what Mike said about a friend of Sonny’s or Mike’s, when Mike wins another game. Felix wonders how he did that so fast, and says he guesses he’s on the hook for lunch.

Drew asks how Josslyn is, and Oscar says, shaken up. That’s why he went to Pentonville, hoping to smooth things over. Drew says that’s noble, but Oscar doesn’t know if he made it better or worse. Drew is sure he made it better. Oscar says, as much as he loves his mom, he’d always been jealous of Josslyn’s big family. Drew says now that he sees how crazy it is, he must be thanking his lucky stars it’s just been the two of them. Oscar says it’s not the two of them anymore. He has a sister and a great dad.

Nina tells Obrecht she doesn’t want vengeance for Nathan; she wants justice. If vengeance is what she has in mind, Nina is calling the PCPD, and telling them where to find their fugitive. Obrecht says she’s right. Vengeance is a temporary rush; they won’t kill him unless they have to. Nina says there’s no “we” about it; she’s not involved. Obrecht says they’ll keep him there, and when he’s had enough of their hospitality, they’ll get him to confess. Once his confession has been recorded, they’ll hand him over to the authorities. Nina says a coerced confession is meaningless. Obrecht says he will unburden himself and justice will be done. It’s what Nina wants, right? It’s the only way. Nina asks what she can do, and Obrecht says they’ll need food and supplies; she’ll send a list. She tells Nina to go back, and say nothing. She asks if they’re in it together. Nina agrees, and they shake hands.

Chase tells Maxie that hospital policy dictates the patient needs to be accompanied out. He asks if she has any takers, and she says Nina was supposed to be there. Chase says when you take over for someone loved like Nathan was, someone honorable, a lot is expected. Since Nathan can’t be there to do it himself, Chase would be honored – unless she has a better offer. Epiphany thinks she can entrust her patient to one of Port Charles’s finest, but if anything happens and it’s his fault, she’ll give his carcass to the med students. She leaves, and Maxie tells Chase that she’s kidding. She thinks. He wheels her out.

Finn sits next to Anna on the plane. He thought she’d like some company. He holds out his hand, and she puts her hand in his. They smile.

Peter tells Nina to let him go or get help. She says she’d call her brother, but he can’t come to the phone. She tells him that he’s in good hands, and he says she can’t leave him with this maniac. She leaves and Obrecht tells Peter that he talks too much, like his father. She puts a gag on him as she whistles. She says, that’s much better. Sweet, silent Henrik. She has the feeling they’ll get along famously.

Oscar starts to leave, and Drew says he’s glad Oscar stopped by. He tells Oscar to swing by HR, and fill out an application for internship. They hug, and Oscar says it will really make it a family business. He leaves, and Drew looks at the DNR and assembly flyer, side by side.

Sonny asks Josslyn if there’s no school, and she tells him it’s exam week. He has to talk to her about her mom. he wants to make things easy for Josslyn, and thinks she should stay with her dad. She asks if he wants to send her to Australia. He says her dad would be glad to see her, and the trial is going to be a circus. He wants to spare her that, and thinks her dad would agree. She says he wouldn’t want to be used as an excuse to run. She’s committed to her team, school is almost over, and she doesn’t want to be apart from Oscar. Sonny knows what she means.

Nelle tells Carly that Michael is sleeping in the room next to hers. Their relationship is evolving. She says it’s true near-tragedies bring people closer together. Carly totally freaks out, and starts banging on the glass and yelling. The guard takes her away, and she yells that Sonny is coming after Nelle, and he’s going to take everything from her. Nelle looks shocked.

Tomorrow, Jordan’s head is on the chopping block, Stella doesn’t want to talk about Curtis’s engagement, and Sam asks if Valentin is helping Alexis.

🍲 A Mix…

Nothing new on Bravo. I’m guessing The Real Housewives of the OC is back soon, since last season’s reunion was aired tonight, and next week is a How They Got Here special. Andy must be on vacation too, because Watch What Happens Live has been in reruns. He also has that tour going on with Anderson Cooper. They did have a 50th birthday party for Andy on Sunday night, with John Meyer as host. It was fun to see them turn the tables by putting Andy in the hot seat, and opening the vault to a video from his college days that he’d hoped would remain unearthed. His hair-do alone was reason enough. They’re also rerunning Dorinda’s Night of 31 Doorbells, which was a delightful gathering of many Bravo family members, when the show was in LA. Catch it if you can. I’m having difficulty caring about The Real Housewives of Potomac, but was never totally invested in them. I checked out Dietland (AMC), which had a promising start. I was also able to catch up with Westworld tonight, and think Maeve’s daughter might have a sporting chance. Even though she was captured by the Native American warriors, she wasn’t killed, and we don’t really know what their deal is yet. Next week, it looks like we might. I kind of wish they hadn’t jumped so quickly into the outside world getting involved, as well as the struggle between Maeve and Dolores. I would have liked to see more of what the park was like when it functioned, and how the various worlds dealt with suddenly being offline.

👠 Funny Footnote…

For the life of me, I couldn’t remember the name Dolores. When I finally looked it up, I realized it’s the same name Jerry Seinfeld once forgot in an episode of his sitcom. That Dolores finally gave him the hint that it rhymed with a female body part.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

Fear the Walking Dead

John isn’t looking too good, but Naomi tells him to stay with her. He says he got her note. She and Morgan drag John behind a car, and away from the shooting. Morgan tells Naomi he’s john’s friend. She says she’ll get medical supplies, and promises to be back. He says he knows she will.

Mel says they have to get out of there. Alicia hits one of the Vultures. Mel starts the ambulance he’s driving, but Naomi says she needs the field kit from the back. He’s like, too bad, and keeps driving. She runs after the ambulance. As the distance becomes longer between them, the back of it blows up. Alicia is standing there with a grenade lancher, and tells Naomi that they took her in. Naomi says it’s not what she thinks. Naomi runs back to John, and tells Morgan they have to get him out of there.

Luci sees Charlie. Charlie says she’s sorry. Luci has gun pointed at her, but shoots some other guy. Al keeps filming. Morgan tells her they need to get John out. She says she’s not part of story, and Morgan says if she hides, a good man dies. The story is almost finished, and it doesn’t have to be that way for John. Al pulls her mega truck next to John, and opens the gun portal. Alicia puts her hands up, and Naomi and Morgan get John inside. Al says, gotta move.

Morgan tells Charlie they won’t hurt her. Charlie wants to make sure Mel is okay. Morgan says Mel is gone. She needs to come with him, or she’ll die. She gets in Al’s truck. Alicia, Victor and Luci shoot at the back as it’s driving away. Naomi tells Al to go to the stadium. Al says it’s supposed to be gone, and Naomi says, it’s not. Al says Naomi is supposed to be dead, and asks if she wants to tell them what else they got wrong.

[Before] Planting is happening at the stadium, and everyone pitches in. Nick says it won’t be ready for months. Madison says rations will get them through. He asks if she’s ever thought they wouldn’t make it, and she says, plenty of times. He asks what got her through, and she tells him, thinking she didn’t want to be out there; it’s way better in here. Douglas radios, saying they have a visitor. It’s Charlie. Nick asks why she’s there, and she says she needs their help.

[Forward] Morgan tells Al that they don’t have much time, and she says she’ll get him there. Charlie realizes he’s Nick’s friend. He knows what she did. Why did he save her? He says, because this has to stop some place.

Naomi tells John again to stay with her. She finds a tin of Scrabble letters on him. Morgan says he’s been looking for her, and never gave up all this time. Naomi says if you try to protect someone, you wind up hurting them. Al asks what happened; what did she do to them? Charlie says what happened wasn’t Naomi’s fault. It was hers.

[Before] Outside the stadium, a zombie pounds at the car Mel has crashed. Alicia says he’s breathing, but to be careful. He might have lung damage. Charlie insists Mel was trying to avoid the accident. There’s an argument as to whether they should just leave him there. Alicia says, if they leave him, will he make it? Nick says the Vultures lost and know it, and now they have supplies. Charlie says she lied before, but she’s not lying now. She asks Madison to please bring him back with them. Nick says they just started replanting. Madison says, If it’s a trick – Charlie says, it’s not – they’ll handle it. She says Naomi put a gun to her head when they first met; now they’re replanting thanks to her.

[Forward] Alicia sees a Vulture zombie and cuts him down. She tells Victor to wait. She sees someone crawling toward her. She squats down, and Mel reaches out. She asks how long Charlie was with him, and he gurgles something unintelligible. She says, you know what? It doesn’t matter, and smashes him in the head with the butt of her weapon. She should have left him for the zombies

[Before] Mel is handcuffed to a bed at the stadium. He asks what he’s doing there, and Naomi tells him that he has broken ribs. He asks where Charlie is, and Madison says she asked them to help her; she’s fine. He says she needs to let them go. Naomi says he has a serious injury. He says they’re not safe. Madison tells him that he’s said that before, and they’ll make it. If his brother and their crew try something, they’ll handle them. Mel says he and his brother are the ones they need to worry about.

We see a bus load of zombies, trying to get their hands out of the boarded-up windows.

Victor shows the Vultures’ numbered flags to Madison, saying that’s all that’s left. She says maybe Mel is telling the truth. Nick asks Charlie if she thinks Ennis is leading them there, and she says he wouldn’t do that. Madison asks if she’s sure. She tells Victor it will be tough, but they can do it. He says they have cars running the length of the railway. Madison asks if they’re full of dead, and Victor says, they were. She asks how many, and they go through the flags; the highest number is 735. Madison says no one goes in or out without them knowing. She tells Nick to take Charlie to her room.

Mel nearly coughs up a lung. Naomi tells him take the deepest breaths he can. When she gets close to help him, he pulls a knife on her, and tells her to take him to Charlie. Naomi pooches him in his broken ribs, takes the knife, and says not to make her break his cracked rib. He’s here to keep him breathing. He says they won’t listen to him. She’s new; maybe she’s been out there for a while. Maybe she was at another place that went down. Maybe knows what he does; what happens to people who stay. They die, and everything they’re fighting for dies with them. It doesn’t need to be that way for her. This place isn’t worth her life. He asks her to come with them. If she helps them, they’ll help her. He has the feeling she knows he’s right.

Madison pries the boards off of a concession stand. Naomi approaches. Madison says she needs the needs the lumber to reinforce the walls. Naomi says, it’s not safe here, and Madison says it will be. Naomi thinks they should consider what Mel is saying and think about leaving. Madison says that’s what the Vultures have wanted since they showed up. Out there, things don’t get better. She built this place for her kids; so they can have something close to a real life. Naomi says if she wants to protect them, she has to disappoint them. Madison says she thought about walking away. She told Alicia to prep a car just in case. She saw it on Alicia’s face, like she was chipping away at what they built. She told herself she wouldn’t use it. Naomi thinks she should reconsider. Madison asks what he said to her, and Naomi says he didn’t have to say anything. She’s been on the wrong side of where Madison is. Naomi doesn’t want to see it happen to her. What she built for her kids isn’t worth risking their lives – or hers.

Madison continues to accumulate boards off of various structures. Mel coughs some more. Madison says if he wants to go; go. He asks why, and she says while he’s here, he’s going to try to turn the others against her. He asks where Charlie is, but Madison says she’s not going. She can’t let him risk Charlie’s life.

Everyone is helping to reinforce the walls. Madison tells them to open the gate, and get the Land Rover. Mel wants to go. Victor says he might die out there. He’s there because she didn’t give up on him; what’s different? Madison says, open the gate, or she will. Mel gets in the car, saying they won’t make it. Madison says, if Charlie goes with him, whoever Charlie turns into won’t be Charlie anymore. He tells her the walls won’t hold, and Madison says she’ll keep Charlie safe. Mel tells her that’s what her parents said, and died in front of her. Don’t make her go through that again. Madison says she wasn’t there; it wasn’t them. He says they’re trying to be the type of people who are extinct. She draws her gun, and says, no one’s gone until they’re gone, and he drives away, wounds and all. The gates close again. Madison tells them not to think about what Mel said.

Nick tells Madison that she should have made him stay; He wouldn’t have taken Charlie, since he can’t get far. Madison says he’s not getting far without Nick and his sister protecting him. Nick asks if she remembers when he said he was afraid of who he was out there? He was really afraid of being away from her; she showed him the way. She finds him when he’s gotten lost. He felt found here, like he’d finally starting to get it. Letting a guy kill himself because they’re afraid of him. doesn’t sound like what she wanted them to find out.

Charlie says, he’s gone, but he’s hurt? He’s not going to make it, and he’s her friend. Alicia says she put a radio in the car, and it’s on. They should let Charlie see if he’ okay. They call, and Madison asks if Mel can hear her. He coughs, and she asks where he is and if he’s all right. He coughs some more. The signal is lost, and everyone looks grim and sad. Charlie says they have to help him.

More reinforcing goes on, and Cole hopes it holds whatever is coming his way. Alicia says they have to go out. Victor asks Nick if Madison knows they’re leaving. Nick asks, is he letting them out, or what? Victor knows they’re going after Mel, and says their mother did the same thing for him. Who is he to stop them? He lets them out. As they get on the road, Nick says they’re going to find Mel, and help Madison remember why she built this place.

One of the Vultures starts a truck full of zombies. A woman says, you know what to do, and he drives off. Behind him is a whole caravan of trucks.

Naomi finds Madison to tell her that she’s not going. Madison says, in that case, they’ll find her a new bedroom. Naomi says if she starts pulling boards off the showers, she’s chaining herself to the pipes. Madison says she forgot how it was for her kids to look at her like that, but it would it be worse if they didn’t. She guesses she taught them something after all. Naomi says whatever is going to happen, will happen soon. She’s prepping the infirmary.

Nick sees the Land Rover, and radios Victor, says they found him. Victor tells him to get back with due haste. Nick nails a zombie. Alicia says Mel is in rough shape. Nick hears something, and tells her to kill the headlights. They see the trucks coming toward the stadium. The trucks drive past without noticing them. Nick radios Victor, telling him a convoy is coming his way.

Victor tells Madison to sound the alarm. Madison is surprised Victor didn’t try to stop Nick and Alicia. He says they needed to do it, and she says that doesn’t mean she has to like it. Cole says, that’s not a convoy. We see only two headlights. Madison radios Nick and asks if he’s there, but he’s still a half-mile off. It’s an ice cream trail, leaving a trail of… blood? Gas? Something. Nick radios Madison, who tells him to just in get inside. Alicia says maybe it’s a trap, and here come the trucks. Ha-ha! My heart is beating faster.

The trucks line up in the parking lot. Luci asks what’s happening. Madison explains that Nick and Alicia are out there. Lots of zombie rumbling is coming from the trucks. The Vultures set up ramps. Ennis whistles, and signals for the trucks to be opened. Zombies stagger down the ramps. I think it must be gas. Someone is going to get these zombies lit.

Madison radios Nick and Alicia to come inside. and here we go, the gas is set on fire. The zombies crowd Nick’s car. Madison runs down. Victor tells her she can’t go out there. She says her kids in the parking lot. Is he going to stop her? He says, no. He’s coming with her. Luci says she’s coming too. In the car, Alicia asks how much ammo the have, and Nick says, not enough, reminding me of Sheriff Hague (Michael Biehn) in Planet Terror. Madison says there are too many zombies for them to drive through, and Nick says they can’t last much longer. Douglas says they have to get the fire out before anyone can leave. Victor tells him to shut up and open the gate. Alicia radios Madison, saying she’s sorry they had to come out to try and save him, but they couldn’t just hide. They didn’t mean to do this to her, but it was the right thing to do. Zombies grapple at the car. We see the flames reflected on Madison’s face.

[Forward] Al drives past a burned ice cream truck. Naomi says don’t stop; there’s no time. Morgan asks if she’s sure she’ll find what they need. She says she set up the infirmary herself. Any supplies that were taken, were taken from the outside; no one would go in there. Morgan says he thinks he knows who Al is; he’s seen it. She says he doesn’t know who she is. She’s a chick with layers. Me too. I am so one with this show right now. Al tells them to hold on, and she drives through the closed gate into the stadium. The dust clears, and there are a million zombies scattered all around. They grasp at the truck.

Next time, the mid-season finale (sigh) – Madison has nothing else to lose, Al thinks someone will want to know what happened, Naomi tries to save John, and Al machine guns the crap out of some zombies.

Excellent episode!

💍 I only saw pieces of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? and will be watching it in its entirety at a later time. However, I saw enough to wonder what the blip is with Chantel’s family? Are they bad actors? Are they on something? Like a high dose of Valium? Even Chantel has inherited their strange, wooden monotone – in two languages! No wonder Pedro is looking to book back to the DR, but I still think there’s something crooked about the mother/sister grifter team. And note to Molly – all men call watching the kids babysitting. Even when the kids are their own.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

I missed the first few minutes because, as usual, ABC had news that couldn’t wait an hour. At least it wasn’t the last minute. On a Friday. So without further ado, we join the show, already in progress…

Sonny visits Carly. He asks how she’s doing; he knows how bad it can be in jail. She tells him to focus on getting her out of there, and asks if there’s been any progress on her case. He tells her that Diane is working to get her out, but she says she’s not talking about the insanity plea. She means the proof that Nelle set her up.

Robert and Anna are combing Peter’s hotel room. Anna tells Robert the last thing on Peter’s mind is her. He took a big risk before, and now he’s on the run from the WSB; he’s not circling back for her. Robert says Peter hates her. He didn’t say it to be hurtful, but wants her to see the truth and protect herself. She says what happened wasn’t an accurate reflection. He saw her as an agent from the Bureau, and thought it was a trap. Of course he was angry. Robert says he wanted her and Jason to turn on each other. Jason walks in, and Robert says, again? If he keeps hanging around, Robert will have to put him on payroll. Jason asks if he can check room, and Robert gives his okay. Robert tells Anna that Jason is the reason Peter escaped. Anna says the camera footage was looped, and it’s Spinelli’s handiwork. He tells her that she’s not fooling anyone. She’s happy Peter escaped.

Peter is in Maxie’s room. He says he kept a horrible secret about who he is, but it’s still just him. He asks how the baby is, and says he can’t wait to see him. She thanks him for being her impromptu birthing coach. He says he’s glad to be the first person to welcome his nephew into the world. He looks more like his brother than him. Maxie says, brother? and he says he’s not Peter; he’s Henrik – surprise! Nina tells Maxie to wake up; she’s having a bad dream. Maxie says Peter was there, and held her hand. She let him hold her hand; what’s wrong with her? Nina tells her not to be hard on herself. Peter has been arrested. Maxie asks if he’s been sent to Siberia yet; the further, the better. Nina says that was the plan, but Peter escaped. No one knows where he is.

Peter is dragged into a cabin.

At the Quartermaine’s, Nelle tells Michael that she feels bad about what happened to his mom. Carly is in prison because of her. There will be a horrible, ugly trial, and everyone will be in their business. She never wanted that. She just wanted Carly to understand that she didn’t want to harm her. Michael says it’s obvious Carly had a breakdown, and he wants her to get help. She has plenty of people to worry about her, and his main focus is Nelle and the baby. Nelle says he’s so sweet to her. She’s glad he stayed in the room next to hers. She doesn’t sleep well, and it made her feel safe. He says she is safe. She’s happy he came back into her life.

Sonny tells Carly that they’ve found nothing. No scarf; no blanket; nothing that proves Nelle did anything. Carly says Nelle is lying, just like when she drugged Sonny. They should have gotten rid of her when they had the chance. Sonny says they need to talk about what’s going on now. Does she want to talk through glass to him for a few weeks, or for twenty-five years? He thinks it’s the best way out, and asks why she won’t take it. I’m confused; didn’t she?

Carly says she did what they wanted, and took the plea. That answers that question. Sonny says, but then she changed her mind, and had to be talked out of it in front of the judge. Carly says, in a perfect world, she would go to Shadybrook, but it’s not a perfect world, and too many things could go wrong.

Michael tells Nelle that he has to go. She says, of course; he has his own life. She tells him not to worry about her. She’s taken enough of his time. He says he meant he has to pack, since he’s moving back in. He’s going to be with her night and day.

Nina tells Maxie all she knows is that Peter is gone. They found Valentin locked in his cell. Maxie asks if Valentin is okay, and Nina says he’s been in worse situations. The WSB and the police force are looking for Peter. Maxie can’t believe she was friends with him, when Nina told her to back off. Nina says not to give her credit. She’d hired Curtis to investigate Peter, then talked herself out of it. The biggest thing was the scrapbook with Nathan’s mementos. She chastises herself, saying if she had been less trusting, Nathan might be here. Maxie wonders if she’s still talking about Peter, but Nina says, no. Someone knew, and did nothing to warn any of them.

Peter is tied to a bed. He wakes up, and wonders where he is. He struggles against the bonds, and remembers holding the flash drive in his hotel room.

Maxie asks Nina, who knew Peter was really Henrik? Nina apologizes, saying it was Valentin. Maxie asks when he found out. Nina says he’s apparently known since Peter was a baby. It’s a twisted story that doesn’t look good for anyone. He kept it quiet, trying to cover his own ass. Maxie thought he was trying to be a stand-up guy, and Nina says, she did too. It’s lie upon lie, and secrets, when comes to Valentin, and all of it stems back to Anna. Maxie asks what Anna has to do with Peter, and Nina says, Anna is Peter’s mother.

Anna tells Robert she is not happy. Peter is a fugitive now; a target for the WSB, and anyone else who thinks he’s a threat. She wants him to go through the proper channels, and be exonerated. Robert asks at what point she lost touch with reality? He was Faison’s accomplice. She says he was coerced. Robert says when Jason was held against his will, Peter wasn’t coerced, and he wasn’t coerced when he held a gun on her. In some respects, he’s worse than his father; who knows what he’ll do? She says you can’t convict him on what he might do. and there’s nothing to link him to anything. Robert asks her to remember when Robin was held prisoner, and they thought she was dead. He doesn’t recall her giving Jerry Jax or Faison the benefit of the doubt. Anna says he’s absolutely right; she has a double-standard. No matter how much Robert wishes it wasn’t true, Peter is her son.

Jason brings out a drawer, and shows Anna and Robert there was tape on the bottom. He thinks it’s where Peter hid the flash drive. He says it looks like Peter took off with it. Robert says, so much for making amends. He thanks Jason for his help, and for saving Anna’s life. If he hadn’t been there, Peter would have killed her. Jason is glad he was there too. He jets, and Anna asks if Robert is quite finished. He says, no, and neither is she. Now she’s got to tell Robin that she has a big brother.

Sonny tells Carly assumption can be a dark place; don’t go there. She says nothing has gone her way since the arrest. How will she convince her kids of her innocence, and get them to trust her again? By the time she gets back, Nelle will be firmly in place, and she’ll be an outsider.

Nelle says she doesn’t want to disrupt Michael’s life. It’s enough they’ve gotten closer. He says he wants to be there for her and the baby, and she tells him that’s the reason she never stopped loving him. Jason drops by, and asks if Michael can talk for minute about his mom. Nelle gives them some privacy. On her way out, Jason says he’s glad she and the baby are okay, and she makes a face like, yeah, right. Jason asks if Michael has talked to his mom, but he says not since the arraignment. Michael says she’s pleading guilty by reason of insanity. It’s what Diane wanted her to do, but it implies she pushed Nelle. Jason says that’s not what happened. Michael tells him Nelle said it did, and Jason asks if he believes her.

Anna says she has to figure out what to tell Robin, and Robert tells her to concentrate on that. Leave the search to the police and the WSB. Jordan comes in, and Robert shows her the bottom of the drawer, where the flash drive was. Anna says there’s no proof of it. Jordan says Peter left a letter for Maxie. Anna asks if she read it, and Jordan says it was a well-written plea for forgiveness. Well, he is a writer. Anna tells Robert to get on with it. Tell her how pathetic she is, thinking her son could be redeemed. He knows it’s tearing her up, but wringing her hands over Peter’s screwed up childhood doesn’t make him less accountable. Robin calls, and Robert says she doesn’t have to answer.

Peter wonders how he got there, and remembers the syringe stabbing him in the back. We see him letting go of the flash drive as he’s being dragged away. He calls out, asking if someone is there. He asks why they did this to him.

Nina tells Maxie that Anna did what she could to cover up her pregnancy. She gave the baby up for adoption, but Valentin found the family, made them give up the baby, and gave it to Faison. Maxie says it almost makes her feel sorry for Peter. Almost. Nina says one decision that Valentin made, destroyed so many lives. Maxie can’t process, and asks Nina what she’s going to do. Nina says divorce him. She’s not moving back; she’s moving ahead. Maxie knows something that might help; the antidote to all heartbreak. Deanna wheels James in. Maxie holds him, saying, James Malcom West, happy to meet you. Nina says, he’s absolutely perfect.

Sonny says it’s Carly’s word against Nelle’s, and Nelle wound up at the bottom of the stairs. Carly says she’ll do it, but she hates it. She wants to talk about something else, and asks how everybody is. Sonny is still trying to find a permanent caregiver for Mike, but Stella has been helping. Sonny thinks Stella likes Mike, and Carly says his dad is a charmer. She asks how Josslyn is, but Sonny hasn’t seen her much; she’s always with Oscar, volleyball, and school. Carly says, she’s doing it on purpose. She suggests Sonny find something to do with Josslyn and Avery. Sonny says Josslyn might be confused and angry, but she’s Carly’s daughter, and loyal to the core. Josslyn loves her. Michael texted that the baby is fine, and Nelle is back at the Quartermaine’s; she’s been released from the hospital. He hesitates, and says Michael also moved back in, to be close to her and the baby. Carly says, Nelle got what she wanted. Sonny says, for now, not forever. She asks if he’s sure about that. He tells her to get through the trial and Shadybrook; then deal with what she needs to. She says she’s going to do more than that. She’s going to expose Nelle for the lying snake she is. By the time she’s through, Nelle will be out on the street.

Jason tells Michael that Carly would never harm her grandchild. Michael knows he’s loyal, but he needs to take care of his family, and put them first. Jason isn’t going to argue with him, but tells him to be careful. Michael says he always is, and I laugh, because he wasn’t when he got Nelle pregnant. Jason leaves, and Nelle ducks down behind something when he walks past. She tells Michael that she couldn’t help but overhear. He said he was putting his family first. He says he meant her and baby, and tells her to go get some rest. He’s going to pack, but he’s coming right back. He’s not letting her out of his sight. Yeah, we know something’s up with this guy.

Nina says James is the most beautiful baby ever. He’s the perfect tribute to Nathan. Maxie says he looks like Nathan already. She can’t wait to watch him grow up, and look more and more like his dad. Nina says, it will be amazing. She remembers when her mom brought Nathan home. She let Nina hold him, and when she looked into his eyes, she fell in love; unconditional love. He taught her something powerful in life. Maxie asks if she wants to hold her nephew, and transfers the baby to Nina’s arms. She tells him that this is Aunt Nina, and says, he’s a heartbreaker.

Anna is on the phone with Robin. She says it was a big shock to find out Peter is Henrik. Robert’s phone rings. Anna tells Robin, for starters, Peter is missing. There are no leads yet, but everyone is on the case. She thinks it would be better to answer Robin’s questions in person. She’s taking the next flight out, and will be with her today; she’ll call when she lands. She tells Robin to never doubt she loves her. After she’s done, she tells Robert that she’s taking the next flight out. He wishes he could go, but the Bureau wants him to sort this mess out. She hopes they’re not too hard on him. He says he can handle it, but has a word of advice. She’s been Robin’s hero her whole life, but this will throw her for a loop. He says to give her space. Don’t crowd her; let her process, and figure it out. He says, she’s a prickly little thing; she gets it from him. He knows she wants Peter’s forgiveness, but don’t mention it to Robin. Let it be about her, and her needs; and what will help her. Not Anna’s guilt over Peter.

Nina knows what Maxie is thinking, and tells her it’s okay to say it. Maxie says Nathan should be there to hold his son. Imagine how over the moon he’d be. Nina thinks he knows. He knows this beautiful baby will never want for love. Nina tells Maxie that she knows she can be overbearing with love, and Maxie tells her to overbear away. She’s welcome in their lives day and night and in between. Nina tells the baby that Maxie may regret it.

Robert tells Anna that a lot of people love and depend on her, present company included. He tells her to stay safe, and tells Jordan he’ll be in touch. Jordan asks if Anna is all right. Anna asks if she has a copy of Peter’s letter to Maxie, and Jordan asks, why?

Nina gets a phone ding. Maxie asks if she has to go back to work, but Nina says it isn’t Crimson. Maxie says Valentin isn’t going to stop trying to win her back. Nina says there’s something else she has to take care of, but she’ll come back soon.

At the prison, Jason puts his hand on the glass, and so does Carly. It creeps me out a little. Like she’s pining for Jason more than Sonny. He apologizes for not being at her arraignment, but she’s glad he wasn’t. She pleaded insanity, and she’s glad she didn’t do it while he was watching. He says, why do it? She says even if he finds the blanket, it proves she had more motive. He tells her that Nelle said there was no blanket; it will prove she’s lying. Carly wonders how he can tie it to her. How can he prove any of it? He says Nelle had to buy the scarf and match it. If she did a search online, Spinelli can find it. She says even if he proves it all, he can’t prove she didn’t push Nelle. Diane is right. If she pleads not guilty, she’ll lose.

Anna visits Maxie. She says she saw the baby; he’s perfect. Mac has been texting nonstop; they’re so happy. So is Robin. Maxie says she called. Anna tells Maxie that she’s planning on seeing Robin to explain about Peter. Anna says she didn’t know who he was until the night of the Nurses’ Ball. Maxie says she doesn’t feel so bad that he fooled her, since he fooled a super spy. Anna says she’s sorry, and Maxie says it’s not her fault. No way could she know what Valentin would do, much less her child. Anna says she can’t be objective, but feels Peter knows he made a terrible mistake, and regrets it. She empathizes. Maxie says maybe it’s because she’s his mom. Anna says, maybe. She gives Maxie the letter, and says Peter left it for her.

Peter yells for help. The door opens, and we see legs in high heels. The camera pans up, and it’s Nina. Well, roll me up and call me curly. She’s the last person I thought it was.

Carly tells Jason her best chance is the insanity plea. She’ll go to Shadybrook for a few months, and be home. Jason reminds her of the last time she faked being crazy, and ended up in prison. He tells her not to do it again. She says the best lawyer in the country is telling her to do it, and so is Sonny; it’s a different situation. He tells her to listen to her own instincts. She can admit to what she didn’t do, or fight. She says she’d rather stay in this hole and rot before admitting she did something she didn’t do. He says it’s not about her. Josslyn, Michael, and Avery need their mother; and Sonny needs his wife. They need her to be free, not getting therapy. She says he’s the only person on earth who thinks she doesn’t need therapy. She’s sticking with the plea. Is he going to back her? He says, always, even when he knows she’s wrong. They do that hand thing again. No. Just no.

Michael calls Spinelli. He says he needs help; anything he can find on Nelle. He gives Spinelli some other names to search for. He says whatever it takes to prove she’s lying.

The Quartermaine bell rings. Nelle asks someone to get it, but it keeps ringing, so she gets up. It’s Sonny, who says, look who’s answering the door now. She says Michael isn’t there, but he says he’s looking for her.

On Monday, Oscar has something to take care of, Carly needs a favor, and Sonny wants to have a nice little chat with Nelle. I’ll bet.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Jason tells Sam he’s on his way out. He and Spinelli are working on getting evidence of Carly’s innocence. Sam says there’s not a lot of time. It’s about Drew.

Andre and Drew meet outside. Drew has been doing some thinking, and Andre asks if he wants to reconsider. Drew says just the opposite, and gives him an envelope. It’s a DNR. He says in case it goes the wrong way, just let him go.

At the hospital, Obrecht demands a word with Anna. Anna says it’s not the place, and Obrecht asks if Anna thinks she cares. It’s her fault Obrecht’s son is dead.

Peter says, if it isn’t his oldest friend. Valentin says he’s so sorry this is happening to him. Peter says he should be; he put the whole thing in motion. Valentin says, it’s true. He stole Peter, took him from a loving family, and brought him to his father. Peter says it’s a good thing there are bars between them, or he’d kill Valentin with his bare hands.

Ava has insufficient memory on her phone, and picks out things to send to the cloud. She sees the paternity test, and is about to delete it, and hears someone come in. It’s David. She tells him the gallery is closed, but he says he was hoping to pick up something beautiful.

Kiki and Elizabeth go to Monica’s office. Elizabeth tells Kiki that she can do this. Monica asks if everything is all right, and Kiki says, no. She’d like to file a complaint against Dr. Bensch. Monica asks on what grounds, and Kiki says for the past few months, he’s been sexually harassing her.

Jason tells Sam that Kim was just there. She told him Drew wants the procedure done, and Andrew has agreed, but he could be incapacitated if something goes wrong. She wanted Jason to stop him. Sam says if the procedure is going to work, Andre needs the flash drive. Peter has it, but is willing to make a trade. Jason asks what he wants, and Sam says, his freedom.

Andre asks if a DNR isn’t a little extreme, but Drew doesn’t think so. Andre has explained the risks, and he gets it. His hope is that once Jason’s memories are removed, his own original memories will surface. Andre says his latest research supports that, but if he’s unsuccessful, Drew could lose his cognitive abilities. Drew says, if that happens, he wants Andrew to honor his wishes, and let him die.

Obrecht tells Anna that she knows the truth about Nathan’s death, and why Faison came back. She calls Anna a hypocrite, judging her feelings for Faison, when she also shared his bed. Anna says it was one night. Obrecht says she knew everything about his bastard son.

Peter says he thought Valentin was the one person who found him worthwhile, but he wanted to use it as leverage against Anna. He tells Valentin not to insult them both by pretending their friendship meant anything. Valentin says he and Anna were both younger. He loved her, but she wouldn’t have him. He wanted her to hurt like he did. He was the only one who knew and realized she was pregnant. He followed her, and knew she’d left the baby. He assumed wrongly that she thought the baby was just an inconvenience, and he didn’t like that. He wanted to punish her. He took Peter to Faison, and regretted it every day since.

Anna tells Obrecht to keep her voice down. Obrecht says, to spare her embarrassment? It’s the least she deserves. Griff says, enough, and tells Obrecht she’s on the wrong floor to see the baby. Obrecht says this isn’t over. Anna’s actions took her son from her. What goes around comes around. She leaves, and Anna guesses Griff heard. He says it was hard not to, but it didn’t make sense. She says it will if he understands that Faison’s child is Peter, and is actually her son.

Jason tells Sam to back up, and asks when she talked to Peter. She says she went to tell him that she was grateful he kept Jason alive. Jason says he only did it to kill Faison, but she says that doesn’t change the fact that he’s there now. Jason tells her not to let Peter take advantage because of it. She says that’s what she told Peter. Drew said he’d rather have the procedure without the flash drive. It was a risk he was willing to take, but she can’t. Jason nods sagely.

Andre tells Drew it’s something that’s widely debated. Drew says he did some digging, and euthanasia has been legal in some states for at least two years. He doesn’t want his daughter to be afraid of him, and be a shell of a human being wile she’s growing up. He tells Andre to cheer up, and asks what happens next.

Peter tells Valentin it feels like another lie. Valentin says by the time he realized his horrible mistake, someone else was paying the price. Peter used Nathan, and lured Faison to Port Charles, but didn’t think about what Maxie stood to lose. By the time he looked up, Nathan was dead, and Maxie was a widow with a baby who is never going to know his father. He asks if Peter is going to stick around and make amends and mitigate the damage.

Anna tells Griff abut Valentin taking the baby. Griff says no wonder she was so determined to find him. Anna says she wanted to find him because she realized he could be a carrier. She asks if Griff didn’t say he just tested someone for Huntington’s disease. Was it Peter? He must have thought it was a strange coincidence. He couldn’t have known Peter was Faison’s son. Her phone rings, and Griff gives a good worried look. He thinks about when he told Peter that he’d keep what he knew in confidence.

Ava tells David that she can stay open a few minutes longer. She knows he’s been helping Kiki. David says she has a lot of potential. He just hopes… She says, what? He says he’s sorry; he shouldn’t have said anything. She says she wants to hear any concerns he has, and he says she seems off lately. He asks if there’s something going on in her personal life.

Kiki tells Monica after she rejected his gifts and kiss, he was either hostile or overly friendly. This afternoon, he threatened to submit a negative evaluation if she didn’t have sex with him. Monica asks if he said those exact words, and Kiki says he showed her a draft of her evaluation, and it was terrible and untrue. He told her that he could revise it in her favor if she met him at his hotel room, but she said no. Monica is sorry this happened under her watch, and asks Elizabeth if she witnessed anything, but Elizabeth says she’s just there for moral support. She says she believes Kiki, but Monica says, unfortunately, that’s not enough. She asks if anyone witnessed his improper behavior, and Kiki says Dillon thought Dr. Bensch was hitting on her. She adds, in all fairness, he was comforting her after the anniversary of Morgan’s death, and she let him. Elizabeth says she didn’t let him do anything; she didn’t ask for any of this. Kiki says other students mentioned him liking her, but it was more of a teacher’s pet thing. He only made advances when they were alone. Monica says, so there’s no proof. Kiki asks if Monica thinks she’s lying.

Sam asks if Jason wants to help her break Peter out of custody. He says it’s Drew’s risk to take, and she shouldn’t interfere. She says she’s going to anyway, but Jason is afraid she’ll get caught by herself, and he has Carly to deal with. She also can’t break him out because it’s too dangerous for Anna.

Griff asks what Anna is going to do. She says they’ve probably scheduled transport for Peter. She wants to be with him every step of the way, but he doesn’t want anything to do with her. She can’t believe she didn’t see it; the clues were right in front of her. She would have warned him, and helped him to escape; the son she abandoned. She would have done it even if he was guilty. She would have gone against her own agency. It looks like he’s going to Steinmaur for who knows how long, and there’s nothing she can do. Griff says he has to tell her something. Deanna interrupts, saying Anna’s treatment is ready. Griff says it can wait. She thanks him for his support, and says she doesn’t know what she’d do without him.

Peter says Valentin knew his father was obsessed with Anna. Why not tell him that Anna is his mother? Valentin says, strategy; always leave something in reserve. Watching Peter grow up and become his own person, he became sympathetic of the situation, and his objective changed. If he’d known, Faison would have been more obsessed with Peter than Anna. He would have never escaped. He became his own man, and when the time was right, Valentin helped him establish a new identity. Peter asks if he should thank him, and Valentin says, no. The worst thing isn’t that it happened, but that Valentin is his only friend.

Andre says it would be irresponsible to wipe out Drew’s memories without backup. Drew says he’s willing to take the risk. Andre says he isn’t. If he knew where the flash drive was, it would be different. Drew says he knows.

Ava asks David how Kiki seems off. He says she comes in late, and she’s not quite on her game. She’s easily distracted, and using her phone all the time. Something or someone is taking her attention away. Ava explains that her little sister went missing, and it was a very difficult time. She’s fine, but it put them through a lot. He says he’s sorry to hear about it. He thinks Kiki has the ability to be a fine doctor, but he’s seen students with potential go up in flames in medical school. The pressure is too much, and they snap; vanishing from exams or giving wild stories as excuses for poor grades. He says it’s a demanding program, and Ava says she’s confident Kiki can handle it. David says his office looks barren. She tells him to email a photo of his office, and she’ll have some selections for him to choose from in the morning. He says, just in case, and gives his card to her. He’s glad Kiki has a strong support system. He hopes she knows how lucky she is.

Monica says in no way is she accusing Kiki of lying, or implying she might have misunderstood. In the absence of proof, she can’t act directly on a complaint. Elizabeth says she’s the chief of surgery. Doesn’t she have wiggle room? Monica says she’s under higher scrutiny; she has a history, and promised the board to recuse herself from these issues. Kiki will have to go to HR. They’ll take the lead, and launch an investigative interview, and every effort will be made to keep it confidential. Kiki says it doesn’t matter. He’s going to know it came from her.

Jason tells Sam if he’d gotten to the pier ten seconds later, Anna would have been dead. Peter was holding a gun to her head. He would have killed her; that’s what the book was about. He can’t let Anna die, and the only way she’s safe is if Peter is dead or in Steinmaur. Sam says, thanks for listening. He asks her not to do it by herself; he can’t let her. What about her kids? She says it’s not up to him. She can’t let Drew have the procedure without the flash drive; it’s too dangerous. It’s her choice, like all the choices he made that broke her heart, but she respected them. Now he’s going to respect hers. You go, Sam.

Drew tells Andre that Peter has the flash drive. He’ll give it to Drew if Drew breaks him out of jail, but the price is too high, but this matter is something else. He wants to have the procedure done as planned. Andre says he can’t do it

Peter asks what Valentin is going to do for him, calling him friend. Valentin asks what Peter wants him to do. Peter says, as it stands, he’s about to be extradited. There are enough charges to hold him years or a decade. Valentin thinks Anna must have some pull, but Peter asks why trust the bitch who abandoned him. Valentin says Anna did what she could to protect him. He’s the one who screwed up. Peter says he had it right the first time; he was an inconvenience. She handed him over and never looked back. Maybe it was easier to say he was in a good home. It’s pathetic how Valentin is defending a woman who despises him. Valentin says if he won’t take help form Anna, what does Peter want him to do?

Griff goes to the gallery. He thinks about being with Kiki in bed. He asks Ava if she’s ready to go. She asks what’s going on with Kiki.

Kiki is concerned David could make an even bigger effort to make her life a living hell. Monica says the hospital has to remain impartial until something has been proven. It’s a very involved process, but she can rearrange the schedule, so there’s no contact. Kiki says she already did, and he changed his to overlap. Elizabeth suggests that she or Griff be scheduled at the same time. Kiki asks what happens if her accusations are found to be true, and discovers although he can be suspended, and she could get financial damages, he’s not fired. Monica says, unfortunately, it’s the policy. They’re becoming more aware as a society, but the policies in place haven’t caught up. Monica says Kiki will have her full support, but wants her to know what to expect. Kiki says a good friend told her if someone doesn’t out the abuser, they’re free to abuse someone else. She’s moving forward.

Griff asks what Ava is talking about, and she says a customer who works with her thought either the pressure is getting to her or something is going on in her personal life. She says she’ll talk to Kiki, but he looks anxious himself. He says he and Anna had an intense conversation. Faison was hounding Anna her whole life. His son was living in Port Charles, but he’s not just Faison’s son; he’s also Anna’s. She gave up the child to a loving family, but Peter ended up back with Faison. Anna is taking it hard. It didn’t have to turn out this way; he could have done something. Ava realizes it’s the test he didn’t have permission to run. Peter was his patient, and he discovered Faison was his father.

Andre suggests Drew is a wealthy man, and could help Peter that way. Drew says he’s not working with him. Andre says he wants his life back, and the only way is to give his help.

Griff explains why he ran the test. Peter begged him to keep his secret, saying Jason would kill him. Ava says she couldn’t blame him. Griff says he knew the risk, and watched him get close to Maxie. Ava says he did what he thought best. Telling Anna the truth is the last thing he should do.

Jason and Sam go to Peter’s cell. Valentin is sitting there, but no Peter.

Monica says she’ll notify HR, and asks Kiki to give a statement. She says perhaps more women will come forward after an official accusation. Elizabeth hopes the truth comes out. Elizabeth gets a call, and has to go back to work. David sees them, and smiles at Kiki, who follows Elizabeth.

Ava says Griff can get fired. He says Peter knows Anna is one of his best friends. He doesn’t want her to hear the truth from someone else. She says that’s how he gets tripped up. He tries to do the selfless thing, when it’s selfish. It might ease his conscience, but what a friend needs the most is always support. Why bother her with the knowledge. He says maybe she’s right; he doesn’t know. Ava says she’ll keep his secret.

Peter grabs his room key from a cleaning car. He opens a wall vent, and takes out a whole load of money, and his passport.

Sam asks where Peter is, and Valentin say he escaped somehow. Sam thinks he couldn’t have gotten far, but she and Jason run into Anna on their way out. Ann asks what’s going on. Sam says Peter escaped. They all look at Valentin.

Peter leaves a letter for Maxie on the table. He goes out, and comes back.

Andre tells Drew that he’s secured a medical facility for the next three days. If he agrees to wait to the end of the last day, a lot can change. Drew doesn’t think it’s likely that Peter will hand over the flash drive, but Andre says they might not need it when they move forward.

Peter leaves a letter for Drew. He takes out the flash drive. The door opens behind him, and he gets a  syringe in his back

Anna says the security cameras are normal, but there’s no sign of Peter’s escape. The guard has been paged. Valentin asks if they want to let him out, and they all say, no.  Anna knows Sam and Jason wouldn’t be working with Valentin, and must be on their own. She doesn’t know why they’d help, unless it’s to kill Peter. Sam says Peter has the flash drive. Now he’s gone, and so is any chance to restore Drew’s memories.

Peter is dragged away.

Tomorrow, Peter sees Maxie, Carly asks if there’s been progress, and Nelle apologizes to Michael for what she did to Carly.

Southern Charm

Ashley tells Kathryn to get used to her, and she sees the kids more than Kathryn. Kathryn says if Ashley wants her to be put in her place, she’ll effing do it. Ashley says she knows more than anyone. Chelsea tells Ashely, enough, and Danni says they know her more than Ashley does. She sees how the kids are when they get back from seeing her Thomas notices something is going on, and Craig says, this is bad, dude. Kathryn asks what’s wrong with the kids, and Ashley says they don’t sleep. In her interview – where she’s wearing the most fabulous earrings ever – Kathryn says the kids only get to see her for two days. Ashley says what’s scarier is that they’re start getting more time with her. The table starts rumbling, and Kathryn tells her to STFU. Ashley tells Kathryn to watch herself, and Danni asks if she’s threatening Kathryn. She’s not moving in the right direction with her. Ashley says she doesn’t respect Kathryn, and Kathryn says, good to know. Thomas is encouraged to step in. Whitney says an intervention is needed. Ashley, who just keeps on vomiting horrible words and flipping her hair (or tossing her head like a circus pony, if you will), says that people warned her about Kathryn when she started dating Thomas. Danni suggests she stop talking. Ashley says she’s heard things from the nanny – the nanny Kathryn fired. Danni finally tells Ashley to stop flipping her hair. Whitney asks if Thomas would… and Thomas says, salvage the evening? In his interview, he says he’s trying to be respectful toward Ashley, but the mother of his children also deserves respect. He’s in a difficult position. Ashley says she hopes Kathryn becomes the best mother she can be. Kathryn is like, go away with your bullsh*t. Danni drags Thomas over to the side, and says she is not allowed to talk about the mother of his kids that way. Ashley asks how many times Kathryn visited her son in the hospital. In her interview, Kathryn says Thomas told her that she couldn’t go. Who does Ashley think is in control. Ashley says she didn’t give a f***. Danni tells Thomas that Ashley has no right to be talking like she is, and to shut her down. Chelsea tells Kathryn not to engage, and Ashley tells her to shut up. Danni tells Ashley to go; no one wants her there anyway. Ashley repeats this is what she heard from the nanny. Thomas is like, come on, but she can’t stop, and keeps babbling as he leads her away from the table.

Chelsea can’t even speak. Kathryn is concerned she’s coming back, but Chelsea says she wouldn’t. Craig thinks they’re coming, but they keep moving. Kathryn says, that was lovely. Whitney is shocked at how well Kathryn handled it. He says, years ago, she would have stabbed Ashley with a fork. Kathryn says she’s glad have them around her.

Ashley tells Thomas that she doesn’t like any of those girls. In her interview, Kathryn says having everybody banding around her and having her back is crazy, and feels wonderful. At the table, Chelsea says she can’t imagine having kids, and loving them like she does, and having someone say sh*t like that. Chelsea starts to cry, saying she was trying to be nice and include Ashley, but that was deep. Whitney says it was intense. Chelsea says she’s an evil bitch. Shep says he has to download what happened.

Ashley tells Thomas that she was trying to be her kind, sweet self. She kissed Kathryn’s ass. She says this like, four times, then says she’s done kissing her ass. She knew she wasn’t invited to Saint’s party, and Kathryn said she’d only be around for another month. She says how bad of a mother do you have to be, if the court gives – excuse her – the kids to a convicted felon. He’s wonderful, but she’s sick of everyone feeling sorry for Kathryn. Thomas suggests Ashley is better off not even engaging. This chick is some piece of work.

Danni flips her hair around. Chelsea says it’ s all about the Charleston thing. Ashley tells Thomas that she’s not leaving; he’s stuck with her. Shep tells Kathryn that he’s sorry. Thomas stops by and says they’re going to sit inside. When they’re gone, Craig says the worst part is that they have to take the ferry together. He says that Kathryn is sober, and crushing life. They didn’t need him to save the day. Everyone laughs.

Ashley tells Thomas that she’s never fought for a man. She still hasn’t. She was fighting about an invite to a birthday party. She says she doesn’t see life without him in it, and she’d marry him tomorrow. His body language says he wants to dig a very, very, very deep hole, and crawl in it. Kathryn and Naomie go to the bathroom. Chelsea and Austen sit by the fire. He tells her that he talked to Victoria recently, and they’re giving it another shot, but he doesn’t want it to affect their friendship. The last time, he missed her, and doesn’t want to lose her again. She says he’d told her the reason he’d ended things, was because the spark wasn’t there. He tells her that he said it because of her. He asks at what point she knew it wasn’t going to work out. She says where she’s at is different from where he is. He can party and live it up. She thinks she’d eventually bore the hell out of him. She says he shouldn’t have had to choose; she should have never put him in that situation. She can deal with it now; she was being emotional. In her interview, she says every now and then, she wonders if she’s missing something. They are close friends and you’re supposed to be with your best friend. They hug, and he talks about sitting in rocking chairs together one day.

Shep asks Ashley what happened? It seemed like they were getting along; he doesn’t get it. Ashley said she’d been appeasing Kathryn, and she wants to keep her enemies close. She says there’s more to it, and Shep warns her not to say something she can’t take back. In his interview, he says he doesn’t like her. He tells her that what she sees on daily basis is different. She doesn’t know everything; only Kathryn and Thomas know their history, and she needs to be deferential toward their past. She says Kathryn doesn’t care about the kids. In his interview, Shep says she should know better. Whatever she’s thinking, Kathryn isn’t going away. Why dredge up a past that’s not there? It’s outrageous, unfair, and unkind. Shep announces the ferry is leaving. Ashley suggests pushing Kathryn in the water. Wtf is wrong with this woman?

Nice ferry; curtains and everything. Chelsea says it’s up to Kathryn if Ashley can stay in the house. If it makes her uncomfortable, Chelsea feels she shouldn’t be there. Ashley runs to tell Thomas, and he gets loud and confrontational with Chelsea. Chelsea says she’s the one who invited Kathryn, and doesn’t want her to feel uncomfortable. Thomas gets all pissed, and yells that she has no say, so STFU. Wow. Austen tells him that he can’t talk to anyone like that, and Thomas starts the finger-pointing thing, and gets big like a turkey. Danni tells Ashley to quit smirking, which she totally is. Ashley calls her an enabler, and Danni says eff you. In his interview, Austen says this speaks volumes about Ashley’s character, which is trash. Shep says he had a tough night; it was not what he wanted. Austen sits with Chelsea, and they watch Thomas and Ashley make out. In her interview, Kathryn says they’re like a sick, unhealthy, mental hospital room couple. I am so laughing my way through this episode. Whitney tells Thomas to calm it down, and it gets quiet. Thomas apologizes, saying he was ungentlemanly. Chelsea says, thanks, and he asks if he’s cool with everyone. No one is really talking to him though.

Back to the house. Ashley tells Thomas she’s frustrated, but Thomas doesn’t want to talk about it. Shep, Austen, and Whitney go out to a bar. Naomie whines about Craig saying he’ll be making breakfast, and he says he doesn’t need to hear negativity. On the porch, Danni asks Thomas if she’s an enabler. Ashley peeks out, and peeks back in. Danni tells Thomas that he didn’t hear the half of it. Thomas says he wants to respect her, and let her finish. Kathryn says the stuff she was saying wasn’t even true, and she was inappropriate in every way.

Ashley tells Chelsea that she tried. Chelsea wonders if she thinks being evil makes it better. Ashley say she doesn’t want to be taken advantage of, and wants to know why Kathryn isn’t being nice. Chelsea points out what Ashley said to her, and Ashley says it’s been building up; it didn’t just happen tonight. Ashley can’t believe Kathryn really wants to get to know her, but Chelsea says, she does. Chelsea isn’t sure she can turn back from this, and says she thought they had a good relationship, and were doing co-parenting right. Ashley stomps her foot (okay, I made that up, but she should have), and says she doesn’t want to hang out with Kathryn. She’s been being nice for the sake of the effing children. She says, everyone moves on, like Kathryn has been stalking Thomas. Chelsea tries again, telling Ashley she just said evil sh*t about their mother. Ashley says, just because you gave birth to something, doesn’t mean you’re a mother. Then she says, accountability, Chelsea, like she’s a character in Hamilton or 1776. Chelsea tells her to stop talking to her like that. Ashley says she doesn’t need Chelsea. Danni tells Thomas that Ashley owes Kathryn an apology. Kathryn says Ashley owes her going away and never coming back. Thomas says it’s a difficult situation, and Kathryn says it’s going to be a legal situation. Thomas does a spit take with his drink. Thomas says Ashley gets protective, and Kathryn says she has nothing to protect. So Thomas goes for the, she’s half Italian excuse, saying they’re a passionate people, and wave their hands around when they talk. Kathryn calls bullsh*t. She tells Thomas that she doesn’t have much to say, but it’s a damn shame. Thomas sighs.

Crag asks if Austen is a bacon wizard; he’ll do the eggs. Naomie tells the other girls it’s nice that everyone was there for Kathryn. She was trembling the whole time. In bed with Thomas, Ashley says she’s rehashing what happened in her mind, and she’s not going to have any girlfriends. Thomas thinks she should lay low. Danni says what Ashley was saying was inappropriate, and Naomie says they were things you should never say to someone doing better, and moving on from their past. Danni wonders how she can bring herself back, and Chelsea says she’s not apologetic at all. She ain’t right. Ashley tells  Thomas she’s not ready to leave; it will mean they got the best of her. He tells her not to fight, but she can’t promise she won’t stick up for herself. He tells her that she doesn’t always need to have the last word. It comes off as petty.

Shep asks, why so many mushrooms? Kathryn joins the girls, and says she thought last night lasted ten hours. Chelsea says she didn’t know how to react. She never had a man yell at her like that. Kathryn says they’re the ones with her children. They discuss breakfast, and decide to eat. Kathryn asks if they’ll have her back, and Chelsea shows her the big hand drink holder.

Shep calls Cameran, but gets voicemail. The breakfast is presented. Naomie says Craig waited until after they broke up to fix breakfast. Thomas and Ashley come in, and the girls are quiet. Ashley opens champagne. Kathryn wonders how she’s not embarrassed, and just staying there. Danni calls her shameless. They group realizes Whitney is missing, and Chelsea suggests he’s hanging upside down in the closet. Austen calls Whitney, who went to get his own breakfast. Chelsea has rented a charter boat for crabbing. Shep asks Ashley and Thomas if they could just chill at the house. He’s hired a chef to prepare their haul. Whitney comes back bearing groceries. Ashley tells Thomas that she hopes their boat doesn’t capsize.

In the car, Shep thinks Ashley doesn’t have a lot going on upstairs. Kathryn says the elevator doesn’t go all the way up, and Craig says it stops at random floors too. Naomie says Thomas is easily manipulated. She tells them that she rode back with them, and Ashley told Thomas why they were perfect for one another. it was weird. Danni says she and Kathryn could have had a good relationship. She’s acting like nothing happened. Ashley goes upstairs, and Whitney tells Thomas that he has his hands full. He asks what prompted it, and Thomas says Ashley felt excluded with Saint’s party. He says she shouldn’t have gone there. Until he knows what the future holds, it’s premature for Ashley to step in the role of holding his baby mama to account. I can’t believe this jerk calls Kathryn his baby mama. Whitney says Kathryn remained cool, calm, and controlled under such a withering attack. Thomas is surprised. He’s never seen that in anyone, least of all, her. Maybe she has changed.

Shep introduces the captain of the boat he’s chartered, Michael aka Papa Bear. They go back twenty years; their parents were best friends. Chelsea gives her group a tour on the way there, saying she was a river rat growing up. They’re going with Chris, an old neighbor. Chris’s first memory of Chelsea is her waving as he went by in his father’s truck when she was five. It’s hazy, and Austen says it’s like the setting for a horror movie; it’s ominous.

Shep hooks a little shark. Poor thing. They take a picture, and let it go.

Austen says this time next year, they’ll be drinking his beer. He wonders if Shep is catching anything.

Craig hooks a rock. Shep takes a picture.

Chris pulls up a net of crabs. They joke around, making one grab Naomie’s boot.

Ashley messes with Thomas’s hair, calling him the cutest thing, and making me gag. She says they’d have beautiful babies, and he agrees. She says they should keep practicing, and that he’s a keeper. She paints his toenails, and says everyone on the high seas is fishing for dinner. He asks if she feels the need to apologize, and she says, no. Those were her true feelings, and she still feels that way.

Craig tells Kathryn that she has something in common with crazy girl. Neither of them use birth control with Thomas, who told them at dinner. Shep thinks Ashley will be far away very soon. Craig says, not if she gets knocked up.

Still trying to get Ashley to be a human, Thomas asks if she regrets the content of her speech. She says she learned long ago not wrestle with pigs. You both get dirty, and pigs like it. She wrestled with pigs last night. Oy.

Craig thinks Ashley wants to be set for life, and Kathryn laughs, saying she’ll never get anything. Shep says she did get $10K in clothes. Kathryn says all she ever got was a purse and a suitcase. We flash back to her Louis Vuitton being put in the car.

Chelsea likes this side of Austen. Only camo would make it better. She says they’re eating good tonight. Naomie takes selfies with Danni.

Ashley asks if Thomas had a fun day. She tells him it’s nice to have a buddy you can do nothing with and still have fun. Chelsea’s group brings in their haul. Chef Orchid tells them they did very well, and they go off to shower. Shep brings in three flounder and a tile fish. Chelsea says they crushed it, and he says the  conditions were rough. We see a clip of them buying the flounder at the fish market. Craig leaves to shower. Shep brings the fish to Orchid. It starts raining, so things have to be rearranged. Craig ran out of clothes, and in his interview, says he doesn’t give a sh*t. He really does, but he’s going to act like he doesn’t

Orchid beings out appetizers and makes drinks. Naomie tells Danni that it’s weird, acting like nothing happened. Chelsea says she’s keeping the peace. Craig comes in wearing a hoodie with nothing under it. Ashley asks Thomas to feed her, disgusting everyone. In her interview, Naomie says, feed yourself; you’re thirty-something years old. Thomas asks about Cameran’s baby update, and Chelsea says if she’s not there on Monday, Cameran is having a C-section. Ashley gripes that Kathryn exists. Kathryn asks Naomie to go sit somewhere else. Shep asks what Thomas and Ashley did, and Thomas says she gave him a pedicure. He asks how long Thomas is going to have paint on his nails, and Ashley says as long as she wants. Then she’s going to reapply it. This is like some kind of creepy control thing. She asks who the boas is, and Thomas says he is. Ashley says, he thinks he is, and Shep says he’s never seen him not being the boss. Ashley insists she is, and Thomas says he lets her think that. In his interview, Shep says Ashley’s confrontation with Kathryn turned her, in her mind, into the biggest badass in Hilton Head. She asks Shep to get her a shot – chilled. He says okay, and she says she told him she was the boss. The look on his face is priceless, and I wonder if he ever brings the shot. I wouldn’t.

There’s an outdoor room that’s enclosed, where Naomie, Danni, and Kathryn are sitting. Shep joins them. He says he doesn’t like her. Ashley has an irrational confidence that makes him sick to his stomach. She’s saying she’s in charge, and she told him, good talk. Shep says, eff you. She’s lucky he’s letting her breath the same air. She’s stealing his oxygen. He says she’s on her way out. Crazy as he is, Thomas doesn’t like it. He’s in there sitting without them, when he wants to be T-Rav. Ashley is a pariah.

The food looks amazing. Whitney puts his fork right in a platter, and takes a bite. Craig says they’ve created farm to table. Talking about the crab, Craig says size has nothing to do with it, and Shep asks if that’s what the last girl told him. Everyone sits at the dining table. Thomas and Ashley need seats. Kathryn asks Naomie to scoot down, and she says no. No one is getting the extra chair that’s needed. So Ashley stomps off to get it herself. Shep asks if she’ll get him a beer while she’s at it, and Craig is dying laughing. Thomas gets up to help her, but he’s too late. She brings in a chair from the porch, and someone says there’s room behind Whitney. They should get children’s table for her, since she acts like a child. She also can’t comprehend how to eat shellfish.

Shep asks for everyone’s attention. He and Chelsea thank them for coming and experiencing it with them. Chelsea says she’s proud of where she’s from. Shep says Charleston is fantastic, but it has a positive vibe here. Chelsea toasts to friends and good times. Victoria calls Austen, who steps outside. Chelsea thinks they should move the conversation to the living room, and Whitney gripes that he was still eating. Danni says what about doing the dishes, and asks if he’s ever done a dish. He says he has, but I don’t believe it.

Victoria starts in on Austen about a picture of him and Chelsea on the ferry, where she says Chelsea is kissing his arm. She tells him it’s disrespectful, she can’t believe it, and they’re a-holes. He thinks she’s overreacting, and she always has when it involves Chelsea. He says he’s not going to feel weird about a hug, and he’s not talking her off the ledge every time she has an insecure thought. She sends the picture, and it looks innocuous to me. He asks if she wants it to end like this; her being jealous of Chelsea holding his arm because it’s cold. Victoria insists she’s kissing his arm, and Austen says, no, she’s not. He asks if she’s serious. Then he says, hello…?

To be continued…

Next time, Chelsea goes to her childhood home, Shep has surgery, Craig goes to therapy, and Saint’s birthday party happens. Kathryn asks Thomas if he’d like to stay for dinner, but I don’t see any sign of Ashley.

🍸 Best. Episode. Ever. And extra- long. I’m not a doctor, and don’t play one on TV, but Ashley is insane. And Thomas is even insaner to be with her.
