General Hospital

Michael thanks Ned for holding the fundraiser. Ned says it’s a win-win. They’re raising money for pediatric cancer research, and get to ring in the new year. Kristina tells Michael that it’s said the person you spend New Year’s Eve with, is the person you’ll spend the most time with in the new year. He tells her not to threaten him. She guesses he’d rather be with someone else. Chase walks in with Willow.

At the hospital, Julian finds Kim alone in Oscar’s room. He thought she’d be celebrating with Oscar, but she says he’s with Josslyn in the media room. They’re going to watch the ball drop. He says he can stay, but she tells him to go to the fundraiser. It’s a worthy cause, and she’d like to think one of them is celebrating. He tells her to say the word, and he’ll be back at midnight. He leaves, as Drew comes in. Kim asks Drew if everything is okay. He tells her that Jason stopped by to warn him about someone from his past.

Jason arrives at Sam’s place. She doesn’t think anyone will recognize him in a suit. He says no one will miss her; she looks amazing. She does, in a simple, sleeveless, low-cut black sequined number. She says she was going to blow the party off, but it’s a fundraiser for pediatric cancer research. She thought Jason would want skip it and just write a check. He says he is writing a check, but realized, sometimes you just gotta show up. Sam says, sometimes you do, and they kiss.

Ava is about to make a drink, and sees the box of Kiki’s things. She walks over to it instead.

In bed, Jordan tells Curtis, now he’s done it. He says, they both did. Jordan tells him, now, they’re going to be late. He says, it’s New Year’s Eve. Parties don’t start jumping until after ten, and they’ll be fashionably late. She says, that’s how TV stars do it, and he says he’s not a star yet. She says, soon, and he says, providing the producer doesn’t flake on their meeting tomorrow.

Not-Doc puts on surgical gloves, and sneaks into Peyton’s office.

Sam tells Jason that she should power down. He asks if she’s gotten any more emails. She says, one. They reached out and asked if she wanted help, and Sam said no. She hasn’t heard back. He says someone did a lot of research into her past. He doesn’t think they’re giving up. She asks if he thinks they should try to find them, and he says it’s her call. She knows that; she’s just asking his opinion. He thinks if she engages, she’s giving them what they want. She says he’s right, and she’s going to refuse the bait. It’s weird, knowing someone is out there, digging into her past; it’s so random. He tells her that he ran into someone today. She says, someone mysterious from his past? and he says, not his; Drew’s.

Drew tells Kim that the guy thought Jason was him. His name was Hank, and he said he knew Drew from his military days. She doesn’t remember him introducing her to a Hank in San Diego. He says Jason gave him Hank’s number. He guesses it’s up to him to do something about it. She asks if he thinks he’ll contact Hank.

Lulu walks into the fundraiser with Laura. She says it’s what Laura needs. A night on the town, no campaigning, and no sign of Doc.

Willow thanks Chase, and apologizes about not joining him on Christmas. He says it was a last minute invite, just in case she was free. He asks if she wants a drink, and she’s surprised he’s not asking her where she was. He says it’s up to her to tell him. She nearly bumps into Julian, and Chase asks if he remembers Willow. We flash back to her saying that Julian convinced her to give up her son. He tells them to come back to Charlie’s some time for shots on him

Ava looks through Kiki’s things. She reads, New Year’s resolutions 2001. Get a puppy; train puppy to high-five; see Destiny’s Child at the Garden. Ava says, that was a great concert. She continues reading. Learn how to do a backflip – she remembers that trip to the ER – learn about art from mom. Ava cries.

Not-Doc comes out of Peyton’s office. He looks around. No one is there. He closes the door, and wipes it. He says he’ll see if anyone is looking for Peyton tonight, and checks Peyton’s phone. There’s a message from Curtis, asking if they’re still on for tomorrow.

Jordan tells Curtis that the commissioner can’t be late for a charity fundraiser. He says, not even for her husband? and she says, that’s right; he’s her husband. He says he’ll remind her every day. He gets a text, and says Peyton moved up his flight home, and wants to meet tonight.

Jordan asks if Peyton knows it’s New Year’s Eve. Curtis doesn’t suspect he cares, and Jordan says it’s rude. Curtis says he’ll tell Peyton to forget it. She says, and miss his chance at fame? He says, it’s a long shot anyway, but she says it’s a big deal; go. She’ll get her commissioner schmoozing out of the way, and they can just be newlyweds on New Year’s Eve by the time he gets there. He promises to make by midnight. She says he’d better. She wants him to kiss her when the clock strikes twelve. He says, tonight, and every night, for the rest of their lives.

Jason tells Sam that the guy came up to him and called him Drew. Jason told him that he was Drew’s brother, but there was something about his reaction that didn’t feel right. It was just off. He made a point of telling Jason how he knew Drew, and said Drew knew him as Hank. Sam says, it’s weird, but maybe that’s how he talks. Jason says Hank was working him the whole time. He wanted Drew’s information, but Jason took his. He stopped by the hospital, and gave Drew a heads up. Something about him doesn’t feel right.

Drew asks Kim how he can be sure who Hank really is. He’ll have to go through an explanation; tell a long convoluted story to someone who might be nothing more than an acquaintance. Kim says maybe he’s a friend, but she doesn’t remember. He likely knows Drew from a different point in his life, and might show Drew a different aspect of himself. It could be a window to his past. Drew says he could just have his whole past back, but it’s not worth losing the life he has with his son and daughter.

Valerie sees Kristina and Michael at the fundraiser. They exchange pleasantries, but Valerie seems a little cool. Michael congratulates her on becoming detective, and asks if she wants to join them. Valerie says she’s just going to mingle, and will see them later. Michael asks Kristina if she and Valerie aren’t friends, and Kristina says she thought so. He asks if something happened.

As they get to the party, Sam tells Jason it’s his last chance to bail. Jason says they told Olivia they were doing it, so they’re doing it. Sam says no one benefited more than they did, and Jason says they’re lucky Danny is healthy now. Sam wishes all kids had the same outcome. Julian arrives, and wishes them a happy New Year.

Kim tells Drew it’s not that dissimilar than when he gave her a chance. She was a stranger too. Drew says she also turned out to be the mother of his son; that’s a big difference. She’s not just part of his past, but the present and future. He’s grateful she came to Port Charles, and he could be a part of his son’s life. Kim wishes she’d found him sooner; they would have had more time. He tells her, don’t do that. That’s the past, and they should go from where they are now. He says at least Josslyn got Oscar out of the room. Kim says he has no appetite, but she’s keeping his spirits up. They’re on their own until midnight. He hopes she can stomach the poor company. She thinks she can cope. He asks if they ever spent New Year’s Eve together, other than being stuck in traffic last year. She tells him, you could say that. New Year’s Eve is when they conceived Oscar.

Michael greets Willow and Chase. Willow says she hasn’t met his date, and Michael and Kristina are both all, no, no, no. Kristina tells Michael that for a captain of industry, he stinks at making introductions, and Michael introduces her. Kristina asks how Willow knows her big brother. Michael says since he’s a captain of industry, he spoke to her class on career day. Chase says he wowed the crowd with science tricks, and Michael says, Chase brought a dog. Chase says he borrowed Thor from the K-9 department. Willow excuses herself to see one of her student’s parents. Kristina asks Chase to tell her more about Thor.

Scotty sees Laura, and tells her sorry about the break-up. Doc didn’t deserve her in the first place. He doesn’t know how to tell her this, but Doc might be… She tells him to breathe, and says she knows Doc is sleeping with Ava.

Not-Doc arrives at Ava’s apartment. She makes them both a drink, and he asks what she’s doing. She tells him, making a list of New Year’s resolutions. Against her better judgement, the first one is to drink less, but it’s still 2018, and there’s a few hours before she has to cash that check. She’s resolved to stop crying about things and people that don’t matter. She’s finished living up to other people’s standards and expectations. The only standards she cares about are her own. Last, and most important, she resolves not to let her remaining daughter has get too close. The more she lets someone into her heart, the more she seems to hurt them.

Olivia tells Jordan that marriage agrees with her, and asks where Curtis is. Jordan says he’ll be by later, and Ned asks to speak to her a moment. Olivia makes herself scarce, and he asks if Jordan has read the article by Lulu linking the murders. He was under the impression that link was under wraps. She says it was, but Lulu had been in the squad room. He asks if they let journalists wander around, and Jordan says Lulu has certain privileges being Dante’s wife. Ned understands how persona and professional life can blue, but to avoid a full-scale public panic, Lulu’s privileges need to be revoked. Across the room, Laura raises her glass to Ned. He returns the gesture.

Julian tells Sam that he’s there to support Oscar and Danny, and wonders if they can set aside their differences. Sam blows him off, saying she and Jason are there to have a good time. They go into the party, and Alexis tells Julian it’s probably not a good idea to pretend nothing is wrong. He says he’s made headway with Lucas and Leo, and was hoping to do the same with Sam. Alexis says he hasn’t put in the work yet. He says Sam hasn’t let him, and she tells him to respect that. She asks if that’s why he came; to connect with Sam. He says, yes, but Kim asked him to. She thought one of them should put in an appearance at the fundraiser. Alexis says she probably thought New Year’s Eve at the hospital wouldn’t be fun for him. He says he offered to stay. Alexis says she was being selfless. She was trying to be responsible for her son and him. At the same time, she probably wants to spend the evening with someone who cares about her.

Kim tells Drew, they found out he was going to be deployed after the holidays, but they’d both known it could end any time. Neither one of them expected it to mean so much. To be honest she didn’t think she was strong enough to be with someone who was put in danger again and again. They did decide to remain friends, and agreed to enjoy every moment together – and they did. On New Year’s Eve, they watched they watched the fireworks over the water, went back to her place, and opened champagne. Drew says he’s got it. She says, afterward, when she was lying in his arms, she debated telling him how she really felt; that she loved him. Drew guesses she didn’t say anything, and she says, it didn’t seem fair. He was being shipped out the next day, and a few weeks later, she found out she was pregnant. He knows the rest. She didn’t want to tell him in a letter, and his missions were classified. Time went on, and she rationalized it was fine to leave everything as it was. She’d raise Oscar on her own. Sometimes she fooled herself into thinking she was succeeding. Drew thinks she did, and says Oscar is a great kid. She says that’s just who Oscar is. She had to make all the decisions alone. He says she’s not alone anymore, and kisses her.

Ned tells Sam and Jason that he thought Olivia just had wishful thinking, believing they’d be there. Olivia says she knows how much the cause means to both of them. Jason gives her a check. She looks at it, and says, very generous. It will do a lot of good for a lot of kids. Sam tells he that they were just saying how lucky they were, and she wishes all the kids would be as fortunate as Danny.

Lulu tells Willow that she and Valentin know Charlotte was bullying her cousin Aiden. She made sure Charlotte apologized, and she knows what she did was wrong. She hopes that settles things. Willow does too, but she’ll continue to monitor the situation.

Scotty says Doc is a good doer, but since Kiki’s death, he’s been plastered to Ava’s side. Laura says she wouldn’t wish that kind of grief on anyone. Scotty knows how it feels, but hates Doc and Ava together.

Not-Doc says he’s never been a fan of resolutions or time tables that set us up for failure. He likes setting real attainable goals. His goal for her is to help her mourn, but not for the rest of her life. His goal on New Year’s Eve is to help her realize what she is; a force to be reckoned with, and the strongest person he knows. She deserves to be treated better than she has been, and given more than the world has given her. She doesn’t think that sounds attainable, but he says he’s going to give it to her. And God help whoever tries to stop him.

Curtis goes to Peyton‘s office. He knocks, but there’s no answer. He opens the door, and calls to Peyton. He walks into the darkened room, and trips over something. He sees blood on his hand, and says, son of a bitch.

He turns on the lights and looks around blood everywhere screen sees Felicia

Ava tells not-Doc, those are some goals. Is he setting himself up for failure? When he says that, it almost makes her forget everything she’s lost, for just a moment. He’s not asking her to forget, but move forward. And he wants her to know he’ll be beside her, no matter what the future holds. She says, with him next to her, a future seems possible.

Chase asks Willow if she’s ready to usher in 2019. She thinks it’s going to be a good year. He does too.

Olivia says, less than one minute. She thanks them for the money raised, and everyone applauds. Ned says, it’s almost time, and they count down. At midnight, confetti falls, everyone uses their noisemakers, and there’s a lot of kissing. Auld Lang Syne plays. Michael sees Chase kiss Willow. Kristina looks at Valerie, who looks away. Jordan answers her phone, and says, so much for making it back by midnight. Curtis says she has to get there, and gives her the address. She asks what’s wrong, and he tells her that he thinks there’s been another murder.

Not-Doc kisses Ava.

Through the window of Oscar’s hospital room, Julian sees Drew kissing Kim, and leaves.

Jason and Sam go out on the terrace. She says she knows he’s hit his maximum tolerance for socializing. He says there’s good people in there, but she’s the only one he wants to be with. They kiss.

Kim tells Drew the party in the media room is winding down, and Oscar got to kiss the girl he loves at midnight. Drew says, on the subject of kisses, and she tells him, don’t think twice. They let nostalgia get the best of them. At least the person who remembers did. Drew asks if they’re good, and she says, of course.

Julian comes back to the party, and we hear everyone’s LOUD feet dancing. Alexis thought he went ot see Kim, and he says, long story. His phone rings. It’s Kim, but he doesn’t answer. Michael asks Willow where she’s going, and she says Chase got called in on assignment. He says the party is still going on. She doesn’t have to leave, but she tells him, after midnight, she turns into a pumpkin. She says, happy New Year, and gets in the elevator.

Not-Doc and Ava watch the fireworks. Ava says Kiki loved fireworks. She thought there was something magical about them, but there isn’t any magic left in the world. He says, there is, and promises they’ll find it together.

Police tape is now across Peyton’s office door, and the police are combing the place. Curtis tells Jordan that Peyton said he wanted to meet him there. The door was closed, but not locked. He looked in, but there was no sign of him, just the blood. She says it appears someone was attacked, but they have no way of knowing if it’s Peyton. Chase is doubtful whoever it was made it out alive, but they should still check the ER. Jordan is afraid the killer moved the body.

Jason and Sam watch the fireworks. He gives her his jacket. There are some fake snowmen on the terrace, and he suddenly kicks one over. A dead Peyton falls out from behind it.

Lots and lots of end-of-the-year credits. The next new show will be on Wednesday, January 2. On Monday, according to the guide, a rerun from December 31st, 1997 will be aired. I’ll definitely be checking that out. On New Year’s Day, it’s football and more football.

Z Nation

When we last left, Estes had come into the lab to find Sun’s brain gone. He says, find them and kill them all.

Roberta, George and Red sneak out. Red wishes they could have given Sun a proper burial. George says she died for a reason. Roberta tells Red to stash the brain where it’s safe, and no one can find it. If anything happens to them, get it to Murphy. Red leaves, and Roberta tells George not to let it get to her. George says she was just remembering putting the posters up with Dante. Everyone who helped is dead now. Sun too. She wonders what if they win, and there’s no one left? Roberta says there are still a lot of people with the will to survive, including her. Keep her head in it. They sneak off.

Still at the lab, Estes tells a guy to be careful. The blood samples are from all over, and God knows what’s in there. He and his colonel look at a map. The colonel tells him the militia is still assembling. Every able bodied volunteer has been employed as well. Pandora is holding Sun’s hands, and dancing around. Estes calls her over, and asks about the information she got from George. She says it took convincing, but she found George’s weakness, and she gave it up. Human that she is. She points to a road intersection, and tells Estes that the talkers are in a clearing near there. He asks, how many talkers? and she says, all of them. He tells the colonel that they have to hit before George has a chance to warn them, and before the talkers hit them. The rules of engagement haven’t changed. The colonel understands.

When they’re alone, Pandora asks Estes, why so tense? She’s all over him, and tells him, forget about that sick, crazy circus. It’s just him and her. She drags him away, as Sun watches with lifeless eyes.

George and Roberta continue to sneak around. It’s empty everywhere. Robert says George’s eye is hurt, but George says she’s okay. Roberta doesn’t think so. George looks okay, but she has to clear her mind of hate. There’s no room for mistakes. This is about justice, not vengeance. She wonders what happened to Pandora, and George says, what was supposed to happen. They could have gone the distance. Roberta suggests they find Kaya.

Kaya is still behind the vending machine with Citizen Z, who says they’re almost out of soda. She says, just a few modifications to the drone images they intercepted, and they’re out of there. CZ says, otherwise, he’ll have to get more change.

George can’t believe they’re not. Roberta says, they are voting, but not at a ballot box. She points the way to the vending machine. George asks if she thinks they have diet. They avoid some soldiers who are looking for them, but Pandora and Estes have gotten to the vending machine first. Estes says he wants them alive, and Pandora says, save the mercy for her. They open the machine, and the hidey-hole is empty. CZ startles Roberta and George by coming up behind them. He says they got out just in time. Kaya is safe with JZ. What now? Roberta says they stick to plan.

Doc tells 10K, this is Roberta’s most half-baked plan yet. He asks if 10K is feeling lucky. 10K says, no, and Doc says, good. It will take more than luck to pull this off. 10K hugs Doc, and Doc tells him, get going. Murphy tells the talkers, Sit! Stay! and they listen better than my dogs ever will. He wonders how long they have to keep hidden, and Addie hopes they’re not waiting much longer. Murphy says, someone’s coming, and Addie tells the talkers, get ready. A lone zombie ambles up the road, and Murphy says, it’s a rando; looks old school. Addie says she’ll take care of him. She twirls her Z-whack, and knocks the zombie down. He rushes her, and she does it again. She smashes his head, and tells the talkers, come and get it. Murphy says, that should hold them for a while.

George and Roberta see the people going in to vote. George says, it’s a low turnout. CZ says, people are afraid to travel, or they’re dead. Roberta says, a yes vote, is a vote for martial law. CZ says, the people have given up on Newmerica. They don’t care who’s in charge, as long as they’re safe. Altura will take control. Roberta says, it’s up to Addie and Doc to get in position. We see Cooper check in to vote. Apparently, he’s not dead. Or maybe he is. Hard to tell these days.

Addie tells the talkers, now that’s over; everyone look alive. Murphy says, they’re not just dead; they’re dead citizens. He tells Addie, they’re sitting ducks, and she tells him, don’t try to be himself; just stick to the plan. He tells her that they didn’t live this long by sticking to the plan.

Doc says, zero hour, and flips some switches on a board. He says, let slip the dogs of war, and gets into a makeshift bunker inside a tent.

Estes radios the colonel, who tells him, there’s been visual contact with the talker camp. He says, they haven’t been spotted, and they’re not where he said they’d be. Estes says, executive orders; show the meaning of mercy, and end this now. His men get in place, and aim their guns. The colonel says they’ve been spotted. No prisoners. Charge! Well, we know how that worked for Custer.

His joint smoking interrupted, Doc ducks when he hears the shooting. He gets a bullhorn, and tells everyone, go. Pandora’s assistant moves forward with Estes’s men, who shoot up everything. They get to a camp, and shoot up the tents. They realize there’s no one there, and go inside the tent where the noises are coming from. They see it’s Doc making shooting noises through a bullhorn. The colonel tells him, put it down, and he does. Pandora’s assistant takes him outside. The colonel asks where everyone else is, and he says, there’s no one else. Just him.

Estes radios for Mercy One. He’s waiting to hear a talker free future has begun. The colonel says there’s been a setback. It’s a decoy: there’s no one there. It’s a set-up. Pandora says, impossible. She made sure George was telling the truth. The colonel says it’s just an old man with a bullhorn. Estes tells him, find out if he knows where the talkers are. The colonel says he’ll tell, right before he mercies him. Estes tells Pandora that George lied to her. Pandora says, you can’t trust anybody these days.

The colonel asks Doc where the talkers are. Doc says he might want to save his bullets. The colonel is suddenly splashed with blood, and Pandora’s assistant falls. 10K says, nine thousand, nine hundred, and ninety-nine. Doc finishes, in case that happens. 10K shoots more of them. Doc says that’s his cue, puts on his shades, and runs. Estes tells the colonel, operation mercy. But he’s not answering because he’s being eaten. Estes hears zombie munching sounds, and wonders, what the hell happened? He asks Pandora what happened to the talkers? Gate 3 calls on the radio, saying he better get down there. He needs to see this.

The guard asks a large group at the gate to state their business. Murphy says they’re here to vote. Estes says they need two forms of ID. Pandora says, and a pulse. Estes says it doesn’t look like many likely voters, and he’s not sure Murphy qualifies. Murphy says what matters is, it’s hard to mass mercy when they’re still talking. Estes says the militia will be back soon. Behind him, George says they both know that’s not true; they’re not coming back. Red says, not as humans. George says, the cycle death can end now, and Pandora says she makes it sound like that’s a good thing. Roberta says, it’s over. Open the gates, and let them in. They just want be with their loved ones. Estes says they have no idea what they’re doing, and Pandora tells him, shut up. She shoots, and runs. Estes takes off, and Roberta and George tell Red they’re going after them. Roberta says they have fifteen minutes to vote, and the crowd rushes in.

They chase Estes and Pandora through a building. Estes and Pandora split up, and Roberta goes after Pandora, while George follows Estes. Roberta runs goes up the stairs. Pandora shoots at her, and Roberta shoots back. Pandora says, bitch. Roberta continues to chase her, follows her to another staircase, and goes down. Pandora is out of bullets, and jumps down to another landing. Roberta doubles back, and sees Cooper in the hallway. He says, hello, Roberta.

He knows it’s a surprise. She says she can’t do this now. He tells her that he came long way; hear him out. Murphy arrives, and asks Roberta if this guy is bothering her, drawing his gun. Roberta tells Cooper that she’s glad he’s alive, but she has to go. She jets, and Cooper tells Murphy that he doesn’t want trouble. Murphy says Roberta may want him alive; him, not so much.

Roberta finds George near a door. George says Estes is inside. Roberta wonders where Pandora is. George says, on three, and opens the door to another staircase. Estes is on a platform at a computer. He greets them, welcomes them to the beating heart of Altura, and invites them up. He’s going to show them what all the fuss is about. Energy and security to build a new world upon. There’s a pool below him, housing lithium. George says, all that fuss for a battery? Estes knows been hard on her, but learning you’re wrong is part of growing up. George says they’ll see who’s teaching who. Roberta says, he’s taking lithium from the talkers for the battery, and he says, so what’s left of the humans can exist. They’ll have reliable storage. At night, when the solar power is out, they can have light, communications, and an electric fence. George says, while others starve. Estes tells her, desperate times mean hard choices have to be made. They can’t be left up to a traumatized mom. Change always involves collateral damage. Darwin had no heart. She says, neither does he. He says it’s not about him; it’s about the future of humanity. He staged the attacks. They were a necessary evil. The way things were, the lithium would be used up in less than three years. Then what? Roberta says, in the meantime, they can find an alternative. He says, it will be too late. By the time a vaccine can be made, the lithium will be used up. And what will be left? Feral talkers and no electricity. Roberta says he paid for the battery with human souls. Estes says, it’s a small price pay for security. The talkers are freaks; a mistake. George asks if that’s what he tells Pandora; how romantic. Estes says, she’s a useful tool, but in the end, she’s a mumbling corpse, like the rest of them. Roberta asks what’s going to happen when she tells everyone. Estes says they won’t believe her. She says, no, but they’ll believe him. She asks if CZ got that, and CZ says, every word. Roberta tells Estes that it’s being broadcast live. Estes doesn’t believe her, and she tells CZ, crank up the volume. Estes says, this is insane, and hears his voice echo back at him from the speakers. Roberta says he’s right. It is insane. She tells him to go back and tell the talkers they’re a mistake. Pandora appears, and says, a mumbling corpse? Is that how he sees her? He says he didn’t mean that way, and she asks how did he mean it? Roberta tells George, she’s about to get real. Estes says what he did, he did for humanity. Roberta says, there’s a new definition of humanity. Estes says, what happens when the dead are all that’s left? What happens when they trade their future for the talkers? What happens when the last vestige of humanity turns to dust? George says he can’t just get rid of them. He says, they’re rotting bags of putrefied meat. They need to cleanse the earth of the talkers before being dragged down to their level. Pandora says, is that what he thinks? and Estes says she’s different. Knife in hand, she says, is she? She slides the knife up his body to his chin. She thinks maybe if he was a talker, he’d feel differently about this whole dead thing. She holds the knife under his chin. The filming drone hovers around them. She tells it, buzz off, and gives it a whack. It falls into the pool, and the feed dies. The crowd watching goes, aww! Estes keeps saying, please, and Pandora tells him, stop whining. She hates it when he whines. It’s so whiny. She had big plans for them. It’s a pity. She stabs the board instead of him, and laughs, as sparks shoot out of it. Estes says, if the lithium overheats it will kill everyone in Altura. Pandora tells him, George was right about one thing. Humans and talkers are equal. They all deserve a final mercy in the end. Estes says, there’s only a few minutes before the coolant wears off. He runs to one of the pipes.

George faces Pandora. Pandora asks if George thinks she can mercy her. George asks if Pandora changed her outfit. Pandora says she always likes to look her best before a big fight. Does she like? George says, no. Pandora takes a fighting stance, and does a samurai yell.

Alarms sound. George and Pandora rush each other, and George slips under and around Pandora. She says she doesn’t want to mercy Pandora, and Pandora says, really? Not even after she chopped up poor, helpless Dante. George says Pandora’s life isn’t enough to pay for his, let alone the others. Pandora says, Boo. Hoo.

Roberta asks Estes what he’s doing, and he says, stopping a catastrophe. It’s going to explode if he can’t get the pumps working; help him. He and Roberta try to turn a valve, but it’s not budging much. Pandora wields a knife in each hand. George knocks one to the floor. Estes tells Roberta the lithium will cause an uncontrolled burn. Roberta grabs a metal pipe, and wedges it between the spokes of the valve, using it to turn the wheel. Steam hits Estes in the face. Pandora grabs George by the throat.

Estes tells Roberta he needs to use a hose as a bypass. She helps him to hook it up. Pandora looms over George, laughing, and squeezing her throat. She says George’s humanity is what makes her weak. She should be happy; she’s going to see Dante soon. George gathers her strength, and throws Pandora off. A screen flashes, pump failure. Pandora tells George they should do this more often. George says she talks too much, grabs her, and slams her to the floor. Pandora gets ahold of a knife, but George knocks it into the water. She cracks Pandora in the face. Her wig goes flying, and her mask hits the floor and shatters, because it isn’t made out of very practical material. She looks like a burn victim. Pandora asks if she disgusts George. She tells George to look at her. George spins Pandora around, and throws her, saying she doesn’t get off that easy. She holds Pandora over the water. Pandora says she could have been George, and George dumps her into the pool, where she fries.

Roberta thinks it’s working. Estes takes out a gun. Roberta tells him, it’s over, but he says she’s ruining humanity’s last chance. He can’t let happen. He shoots at her, but the bullets have no effect. George grabs his gun from behind. Roberta sees holes in her clothing, and says, no blood. She and passes out.

She wakes up on a couch. Cooper is there. She says, not a dream? and he says, no. She feels herself where she was shot, and asks where everyone is. Cooper says, voting, and Estes is in custody. She asks, what about Murphy? Cooper says he and the devil are cool. When Murphy understood why he was there, he brought Cooper to her. He asks how she’s feeling, and she says, nifty. What did he want to tell her? He says, back at the farm, when he found her. He was operating on her, and she bled out. There was nothing he could do. She died. She says, I was dead this whole time? He tells her that she came back as a talker, but different. Maybe it was the black rain she was exposed to; he doesn’t know. Roberta says, damn apocalypse. He didn’t want to tell her. He thought it might change her, and he didn’t want her to change. Roberta says, he came all this way to tell her? He says he wanted her to know. Does she forgive him? She asks if he forgives her for locking him in the trunk. He tells her everything he said still applies. It was from the heart. Roberta says what they had together was real. It was good, and so worth fighting for. She just doesn’t know how much fight she has left in her. She just found out she was dead. Cooper says she doesn’t look dead. Roberta asks if he voted. He did, but he’s not a joiner. He said his piece, and now he’s going to go, but he wants her to know, if she ever wants to dance or hear good music… She says she knows where to find him. He tells her, goodbye, and they kiss.

He puts on his hat. We hear a little Western background music, and he leaves. Roberta says, goodbye.

Doc makes an announcement, saying, ladies and gentlemen, living, dead, or somewhere in between. The polls are officially closed. 10K shows off his new, kind of Edward Scissorhands thing, and Doc tells Addie, chicks dig a man with a hook. Addie says she’s not touching that. She asks what Doc is going to do now. He says he might mosey back to the water keeper, and see if Kurek needs help with the dam. What about her? Addie says she’s going to continue wandering the earth, doing random good deeds. And killing zombies with her Z-whack. Doc says, that goes without saying. George tells Roberta that she’ll feel better when it’s over. Roberta says, once they ratify the constitution, then what? George says, elect people who will uphold it. Roberta says, people like her? and George says, maybe, and those who want to help. Red brings the case with Sun’s brain to Murphy, saying that somebody said give it to him. Roberta says, she said he’d know what to do with it.

Doc introduces George, who’s announcing the results. Roberta tells her, they’ve come too far. George walks up to the front. I note that she changed her outfit. She starts to talk, but the bullhorn gives feedback, so she continues without it. She says she was going to give a speech what feels likes a lifetime ago. Before the bombing. It was a different speech then, for a different world. So much has changed. She knows she has. CZ films her. She says, one thing has always remained. She has the same belief in democracy and the rule of law. The crowd applauds. She’s lost a lot of friends getting there; they all did, but she gained some new friends too. Friends who taught her the meaning of loyalty and courage, and showed what can be done when you have each other’s backs, and what can be accomplished when you believe in one another and carry each other forward, no matter what the obstacles. There were so many times she thought this moment would never come. But here they are. The moment they’ve been waiting so very long for. She says, let’s get to the results. She opens the envelope, looks at what’s inside, and smiles. Everyone cheers. Roberta smiles back at her.

Murphy sits outside with the case. He opens it, sees the brain, and says, Sun Mei. He takes the brain out, breaks off a piece, and eats it. He says, That’s it. Of course. He laughs.

That’s all folks.

😭 It was all I could do not to burst out bawling. Even if Netflix picks up the show, it’s at that point where it would even be doubtful that they could get everyone involved back, and no matter what, it won’t be the same. Write to your congressman… or something.

🙋 Farewell For Now…

This is where I’m supposed to stupidly say, see you next year, but I’m not going to do that. Sunday night (December 30th), Bravo will be airing a new episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey at 9 pm. It’s titled Bridezilla of Bimini, so it sounds promising, but I’ll most likely be hypnotized by 90 Day Fiancé. Have a happy and safe New Year’s Eve. Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do. Take that however you choose.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

 

General Hospital

Sonny meets Jason at the MetroCourt. He’s going to surprise Carly, and take her to the city. He says he’s been dealing with a lot with his father, and wants Carly to know she comes first. Jason tells Sonny that his problem is with the DA.

Griff doesn’t want wear out his welcome, but Anna says he’s family. He doesn’t think she and Finn need a house guest. Finn comes in, bringing Emma with him, who’s a young lady now (same actress though – brava!).

Kim says Oscar is sleeping and smiling. You’d never know what he’s fighting. Drew suggests she get a meal and massage, and she asks why he’s trying to get rid of her. He says, it’s New Year’s Eve. Oscar wants her to have fun. He feels bad, keeping her hostage at the hospital. She says she’s not a hostage, she’s his mother. Drew tells her Oscar said she would say that, and wants her to prove she cares by going out. Julian isn’t Drew’s favorite person, but he thinks Julian is what she needs right now. Kim asks how he knows what she needs. They didn’t even know each other until last year. He says he’s learned a lot in one year.

Laura goes to The Floating Rib, and asks Felicia if she can talk for a few minutes. She asks if Felicia is willing answer a few questions about when Doc had a breakdown, and started stalking her.

Not-Doc sees the back of someone sitting in not his desk chair. He asks if he can help them. A man turns around, and says, he guesses by the look on not-Doc’s face, he never expected to see him again. Not-Doc says he guessed right.

Emma tells Anna that her mom said she’s fine with the visit, as long as they don’t engage in international espionage. She asks Griff for a hug, telling him that she heard about Kiki, and she’s sorry. Griff appreciates that. She tells him that he shouldn’t be alone on New Year’s Eve. He says he’s happiest at the hospital helping people, so he’ll probably be there. She asks him to join them tomorrow for New Year’s Day. She wonders what Finn is holding behind his back; is it for her? He hands her a beautiful hatbox – the kind you only see on a soap opera – and tells her, open it and find out. It’s a fascinator. Anna puts it on Emma’s head, and Finn takes a picture of the two of them.

Laura tells Felicia that she’s trying to understand what’s going on with Doc. Felicia says she and Mac are trying to figure it out too. Laura says, it makes no sense. She thinks he’s headed for another breakdown. Felicia says, normally, she’d tell Laura to talk to a shrink, but Doc is the best one she knows.

Not-Doc assumes Peyton is there about the documentary on his brother, and asks how it’s going. Peyton says, great, thanks to him. Not-Doc asks if he wants a follow-up interview. He can even narrate to make it more authentic. Peyton says he has that wrapped it up with his own authentication. He’s here to shoot exteriors, but would love for him look at a rough cut. Think of it as a private screening. Not-Doc has a few things to clear up first, but will catch up with him. He asks if Peyton is still working out of the rental space at the pier. He is, and not-Doc says he’ll see him later. Peyton leaves, and not-Doc looks at his tablet. He sees an Invader article about the murders.

Jason tells Sonny that Margaux wants to take him down. Sonny says she stopped Marcus from having his dad arrested. She has a long game, but if her short game works for his dad, it will work for all of them. Margaux approaches their table, asking if it’s too soon to wish them a happy New Year. Jason says they were just talking about her. He was about to tell Sonny that she gave Drew the flashdrive with his memories. He’s not sure what she thought she’d get out of it, and she says, maybe she was just doing the right thing. Jason says, maybe. He has to go, and jets. Margaux apologizes to Sonny, saying she didn’t mean to drive his friend away. Sonny says she couldn’t if she tried. She has no leverage with Jason like she does with Drew.

Kim tells Drew that he and Oscar are trying to get her to go out with Julian, and Julian insisted she spend the evening with Oscar. Drew says, that’s generous; almost selfless. He doesn’t know if he could do that. If it was him, he’d want to celebrate with the woman he loves.

Anna says she’s going to get Emma settled. Emma tells Griff that she’s available to dance, if wants to follow in his father’s footsteps. They go upstairs, and Griff says, it’s amazing. All it takes is a funny hat and a memory of his father in a tutu, and all is right in Emma’s world. Finn says, it’s a good place to be. He tells Griff, what he’s feeling, he’s been there. Griff appreciates everything they’re doing, but nothing seems to help. Finn agrees, saying, people care when you don’t want them to, and inflict caring when you want to curl up in a ball alone. You don’t realize it until later. Griff wants to believe that – more than anything. He leaves, and Finn says, happy New Year.

Laura thanks Felicia. She knows none of these are good memories. Felicia says that’s why she and Mac went on the cruise, to get some distance from the anniversary of the murders. But she realized that if she was running from the coverage, she’d still be running from Ryan. A quarter-century later, he would still be affecting her. So she decided to do an interview with a television producer who’s doing a documentary. Laura asks, why? and Felicia says it would be done with or without her. She wanted them to know that Ryan wasn’t intriguing or glamorous. He was just a monster.

When not-Doc comes into Peyton’s work room, the film is running. Felicia is saying she survived Ryan, and his attempt to exorcise his own demons. Peyton says he’d appreciate not-Doc’s thoughts, but it’s a work in progress. He thinks Felicia is beautiful, and it’s easy to see why Ryan was obsessed. Felicia says, they first met in Texas. He was calling himself Todd Wilson. She should have sensed something was deeply wrong. Not-Doc breaks a pencil, and Peyton asks if he’s okay. Not-Doc apologizes, saying he’s fine. Felicia is dear old friend, and Ryan was his brother; his twin. It’s a bond even death can’t break up. Peyton says twins always talk about a special connection. Felicia touches on it; it’s a compelling interview. Felicia says Ryan made her life a living hell. It’s fitting that he died in a hell of his own making; an inferno.

Felicia feels just as in the dark about Doc as Laura. Laura says they both know he’s a good man. If he’s not acting like himself, something is wrong. Laura checks her phone, and sees the Invader headline: Two Gruesome Killings – One Killer?

At the hospital, Griff looks at the same article.

Margaux says Jason doesn’t approve of her. Sonny asks if she can blame him. Everyone knows she doesn’t approve of Sonny. She says he has his moments. He made a very compelling argument that she was losing herself in her vendetta against him. She decided to turn things around. He asks if that’s why she gave Drew the flashdrive. She says she was wrong to hold something as sacred as someone’s life and memories as leverage to get something on Sonny. She’s glad it didn’t work out. Sonny says he almost believes that.

Jason shoots pool at The Floating Rib. A strange man approaches him, and asks if he’s Drew. He can’t believe it; it’s really him. Jason says he’s Jason Morgan; Drew is his twin. The guy says he didn’t know Drew had one. He’d said he was brought up in a state home. Jason says they didn’t know until year ago, and the guy says, it’s such a trip. He knew Drew in Afghanistan. He was an independent contractor, and there was a lot of overlap with the SEALs. He introduces himself as Hank, and asks, how about a game? Jason racks, and Hank asks if Drew is still a SEAL. Jason can’t say, and Hank tells him that he didn’t mean to pry. Jason suggests he ask Drew himself; he’s living in Port Charles. The guy says, what are the odds of that? Jason almost clears the table in one shot.

Drew tells Kim that he can take her home, and there’s plenty of time to get ready. She says she’s not going anywhere, and reminds him about being stuck in New Year’s traffic last year. She asks if he remembers finding the CD, and says, Oscar is such a romantic. He was convinced she kept it in hopes of finding him. Drew says, it makes sense. He’s heard about himself, and he was fantastic. She says he was all right. She tells Drew, that kid never gives up, and Drew says, just like his mom. She adds, and his dad.

Margaux tells Sonny that Drew didn’t want the flashdrive. He said the past is past, and was more concerned about what’s best for his son right now. Sonny says, the kid’s got guts. It’s a shame he’s so young. Margaux says, it’s a shame for anyone; a kid or a jazz lover like Sonny’s dad. Sonny is grateful, and Margaux says he’s welcome, but wants it to be clear. He says, she’s the DA, and he’s an alleged criminal. Margaux says, alleged, and Sonny says, nothing has changed.

Emma gives Anna a bulldog keychain, and a bearded dragon keychain to Finn. She says the keys are to Anna’s house; it’s symbolic. Anna says, it’s very thoughtful, and Finn thanks her. She says she’ll leave them to discuss things. When she’s gone, Finn says he didn’t have the heart to tell her that he already has a key. Anna says, it’s not so much the gesture as the symbolism. Emma is saying that Finn should move in with her – again.

Griff is waiting at Doc’s office, and Laura asks if there’s a line. Griff says he’s not there. A shrink is like a cop or priest. There’s never one around when you need them. She’s glad she ran into him, and asks if he read Lulu’s article. He says that’s why he’s there; he needs answers. He thought someone who has looked into the darkest corner of the soul, and made a study, maybe… Laura says, maybe he can understand why Kiki had to die?

Doc is being interviewed in the film. Peyton asks what Doc can tell him about his brother. Doc says, he was misunderstood, like any artist, and he was an artist in his own way. He was too sensitive for this world. His pain was so intense, he needed others to feel it too. Like Goya and Van Gogh needed to experience it themselves to be appreciated. Not-Doc says, quite powerful, but he would cut all the stuff about Todd Wilson, and just focus on Ryan in Port Charles. Peyton says that would mean leaving out Gloria Wilson’s murder. Not-Doc suggests he just say Ryan killed his wife. Why mention Todd Wilson when there’s no such person? Peyton says, or is there? The funhouse is now a coffee franchise, and you’d never know it was there, which is fitting. Not one speck of Ryan’s DNA was found. That’s what inspired his ending. He asks if not-Doc would like a sneak peek. Not-Doc says, more than he could possibly know.

Hank tells Jason, good thing he didn’t bet money. He doesn’t remember Drew being this good. Jason says they’ve never played. Hank asks if Jason has Drew’s information. He wants to get in touch. Jason suggests he get Hank’s information, and he’ll pass it along. Hank grabs a napkin and pen, and writes it down. He says, tell Drew his buddy Hank is looking for him. He’ll remember. Jason says, memory is a funny thing, and takes a shot, finishing the game. Hank says remind him never to shoot pool with Jason again, and asks if he wants a rematch. Jason has somewhere to be, and Hank says, next time. When Jason is out of earshot, he calls Sam, saying there’s a quick change in plans. He needs to make a stop before coming over.

Margaux tells Sonny, don’t make problems for her, and she won’t for him. She has bigger fish to fry. He asks if she means a possible serial killer. She says two isolated homicides don’t make a serial killer, but he says, not according to the article. She says all it is, are theories. The police have yet make a connection between Kiki and Mary Pat’s murders. Sonny says, that doesn’t mean there isn’t one.

Finn wonders if 2018 went uphill or downhill since his and Anna’s last New Year’s Eve. She says Cassandra tried to kill him, and he says Cassandra’s henchman tried to kill her. She says they lost Nathan. He remembers her pain, and he’s sorry he couldn’t take it away. Anna says he did. He says, not a lot, and she says, enough. She tells him that she found her son, and he says, pointing a gun at her. Anna asks, who hasn’t at some point? Finn tells her, on one hand, her fearlessness is attractive; on the other hand, it makes him realize how much he’d hate to lose her. She says she’s not going anywhere. Emma comes back downstairs, and asks if they’ve reached any important life decisions, like asking Finn to move in. Anna says she’s oddly old-fashioned, and thinks it should be up to him. Finn says, it’s 2018. He’s not sure that it’s necessary for the man to propose, and Anna quickly tells Emma, he means moving in. Finn says, there are no rules anymore for cohabitation; someone just asks. He begins to stumble over his words, says, yeah, and walks out. Anna says, did he just leave?

Griff doesn’t think they should just walk into Doc’s office, and Laura asks what Griff thinks he’ll do; get moodier? She just has one quick question, then Griff can talk to him. Doc took an oath to help people in pain. Griff is thinking of going to the gym; he just wants to smash something. To think it might be the same person, and the start of a pattern with more victims. He wants justice, but at the same time, it seems pointless. Any justice that comes will be too late for Kiki.

Not-Doc tells Peyton not to keep him in suspense; show him the ending. Peyton says it’s not taped yet. It just occurred to him last night. He hasn’t told another soul. He puts the film back on. Peyton is talking to the camera.What if Ryan didn’t die in the funhouse? No way out? What if there was a trap door, or the blast itself propelled him to safety? What if he walks among them? What does he look like? Perhaps anyone. Even me. Even you.

Sonny tells Margaux that he’s taking Carly to the city tonight, but just so she knows, Kiki was family. So if she needs help with whoever did this, all she has to do is ask. Margaux asks if he’ll reach out to his contacts in the legitimate coffee import business. He says he’s just trying help. He means what he said about paying back debts. Margaux says he owes her nothing, and she’s not sure they can ever be even. Some debts can’t be repaid. Some things can’t be taken back. He’s sorry she feels that way, and she says, it is what it is. He starts to leave, and she tells him, have a happy New Year. He says, same to her.

Kim tells Drew that she’s going to check on Oscar. He says he’ll go next; they can be a tag team. Oscar can spend double the time with his parents; he’ll love it. She says they’re getting good at it, but wishes they didn’t have to be. She leaves for Oscar’s room, and Jason comes in. He asks how Oscar is, and Drew says he’s sleeping, but all things considered, he’s pretty good. Jason doesn’t want to give him anything else to deal with, but a guy approached him at The Floating Rib, claiming he thought Jason was Drew. Drew says Jason doesn’t believe him, and Jason says he was too anxious to tell his story. He hands Drew the napkin, saying the guy said he used to call him Hank. Drew looks at the napkin.

Hank shoots pool badly by himself. He ponders while drinking a beer.

Emma tells Anna that she wanted the keychain to convince Finn to move back in. Anna says she wants that, and Emma asks if she doesn’t want it too. Anna says, he’s very tidy. Emma hopes she didn’t hurt his feelings, but Anna says he understands she meant well. It’s just that men like to think they make their own decisions. Emma says, then they should make them faster. Anna tells her, they’re not all the same. Some are more anxious and tightly wound souls, like Finn. It’s best not to push them. Finn let’s himself in, carrying a suitcase and Roxie’s cage. He says he used his keychain. So do they want him to move in or not? Anna and Emma say, yes! and Finn and Anna hug.

Laura tells Griff that she was never one to believe evil wins out. That’s why she chose to run for mayor. He says, to fight evil? and she says, to do some good. She’s sure she sounds naïve, and Griff says not to him, but he probably sounds naïve to a lot of people. She says they have that in common. She wants to make the world a better place. She’s sure he wanted that when he chose be a priest and doctor. He says he took an oath to do no harm, but if he could get his hands on the person who killed Kiki, and take a life for a life, part of him thinks he’d be doing the Lord’s work.

Not-Doc says, it’s a heck of an ending. Has he screened it for anyone else? Peyton says, not yet. When it’s put together, it’s going to be a real eye opener. Not-Doc says, that it might. Peyton asks what he thinks, and not-Doc says he has a few notes, and closes the door.

Tomorrow, Kim tells Drew that Oscar was conceived on New Year’s Eve, not-Doc says he’ll see if anyone is looking for Peyton tonight, and Laura tells Scotty that Doc is sleeping with Ava.

🍗 On Top Chef, the remaining twelve were surprised to hear they were going into restaurant wars in Lexington. On previous seasons, the wars didn’t happen until they were down to eight contestants, but this time, there would be three restaurants instead of two, with the teams already decided. First, a Quickfire challenge was in order. It was an amuse bouche-based challenge, and the chefs had to come up with the quick, perfect bite, that begins a meal to get you wanting more. Michelle won immunity with what Padma deemed, one beautiful bite. When the teams were divided, training the staff seemed to be harder than the cooking, with few having prior experience, and not many of them retaining what they had just learned. The show ended just as the chefs were about to open their restaurants, and Tom threw them a curveball, telling them it would be a double elimination.

Colt and Larissa are possibly the most interesting 90 Day Fiancé couple this season. I think she’s really interested in him, which boggles my mind. And there’s already a cheating scandal. 🎄 Hope everyone had themselves a merry little Christmas! Moving on…

General Hospital

At the MetroCourt, Laura looks at her wedding ring set and remembers getting married to real Doc, saying she’d love him every day for the rest of her life. Carly sits with her, and says she’s been there, and it’s nothing Laura did or didn’t do. Doc can’t be in right mind if he gave her up for Ava. Laura says that’s what she’s afraid of.

At Ferncliff, Not-Doc/Ryan wakes straitjacketed, real Doc up. He says sorry it’s been so long since his last visit, but he brings great tidings of joy.

Julian chats with Leo at Charlie’s. Olivia comes in, and Leo tells her about the family of snow people they made. Julian thanks her for letting Leo visit; he needed it. She says she figured that, and Julian thanks Leo for today.

Oscar looks at something on his laptop with Kim and Drew. Josslyn comes in, and Oscar’s parents jet for coffee. Oscar shows Josslyn the laptop, and says it’s not his car, but looks like it. Outside in the hallway, Kim tells Drew that she’s glad Oscar fell in love when he was well. Josslyn gives Oscar a Christmas gift.

At the prison, Nelle tells a guard that she doesn’t have a doctor, as she’s led to the visitor room. Obrecht is there, and says she does. Consider it a long overdue post-natal checkup.

Michael sees Willow at the hospital. She asks if he made it back to his parents’ house after the meeting. He says he did, and it was a fun holiday; what about her? She says it was better than expected. The meeting helped. He says speaking about her son was a big step. She tells him it felt good, saying her dreams for him out loud. She just wishes she could have made them come true.

Ava takes little pink mittens out of a box at Kiki’s apartment. Griff and Anna walk in. She asks what they want, and Anna wonders if they can help. Ava tells them that she read about a woman whose husband died in their apartment. She left a book he’d been reading open to what he’d last read, and called it an act of wishful thinking. Leaving it as it was when he died would keep him alive for her. She’d thought it was ridiculous, and that the woman was weak, but now she prays the same prayers. She tells Griff that prayers only work for the faithful, so it leaves them out of luck.

Michael tells Willow that he’s glad he went to the meeting. It was helpful to be around other people who lost a child. She tells him, be honest. He saw her, and felt bad. He says she was a deciding factor. Because of one terrible thing, they understand each other. She tells him that her pregnancy was a surprise, and she’d wondered what kind of life she and her baby would have. Michael doesn’t know if he’ll ever stop imagining what it would have been like to see his son grow up.

Nelle asks if Obrecht isn’t a fugitive. Obrecht says she had an unfortunate misunderstanding with law enforcement, but it’s been cleared up. Funny how life works. One minute, she was on her way to prison, and the next minute, delivering Nelle’s baby in the middle of nowhere. Now, Nelle is in prison, and she’s asking herself, where is that beautiful baby boy?

Doc asks where Laura is, and Ryan says he’ll get to it, but wants to share his news. He’s totally pulling this off. He tells Doc that he must be one heck of a shrink. His patients know how he’ll respond. Doc says Ryan is in no position to treat patients, and Ryan says, neither is he. Doc asks what he’s done with Laura, and Ryan says he’s been nothing but a gentleman. She’s lovely, but too staid for his taste. He had to put distance between them, but once the divorce is final, he won’t have to worry about that. Doc says, he’s divorcing Laura?

Laura tells Carly that she can’t help but be concerned about Doc’s mental health. Carly says, put in perspective, he seems distracted and detached. He blew her off when she wanted an appointment to talk about the anniversary of Morgan’s death. Laura says, that’s not like him. So many things aren’t like him. A few years after Ryan ‘s death, he had a psychotic breakdown, confusing his identity with his brother’s. The way he’s been acting, she’s afraid he’s headed for another breakdown. Carly says that would explain his odd behavior, but not his romantic interest in Ava. Is it possible Laura is looking for a reason to believe he doesn’t really want a divorce?

Ryan tells Doc that Laura had trouble accepting the end of their marriage. He hopes she makes peace with it, so he doesn’t have to employ other means of problem solving. Doc tells him, leave her alone, and Ryan says that’s what he’s trying to do. He tells Doc, she’s safe, but there’s only so much he can take. He’s already had to dispense two problems, and he’s hoping there’s not a third. Doc says, he didn’t kill anyone, did he? and asks if Felicia is okay. Ryan says, she’s fine. He’s not into her at all, but to answer his question, yes; twice. He’s murdered two people. Doc tried to fix him, but he’s not broken. This is just who he is. Doc tries to lunge at Ryan. Ryan tells him to be careful; he might hurt himself. As much as he enjoys the irony, Ryan needs him healthy and lucid. There are gaps in his knowledge of Doc’s life that he needs to fill. Doc says he won’t help, but Ryan says he will. Laura’s life depends on it.

Oscar opens Josslyn’s gift. It’s a five-year planner. She tells him to open it. He reads. January 1 – ring in the new year with Joss; January 11 – bake cookies with Joss; February 9 – take Joss on a hike; February 14 – watch Valentine’s Day movies and bake truffles with Joss. He asks if she did this for the whole year, and she says, just the first year. The rest, they’re going to plan together.

Lulu gives Laura a belated birthday gift from her, and handmade cards from the kids. The gift is a gorgeous opal necklace, and Laura loves it. Lulu says they love her. She knows it’s been hard dealing with Doc, and wants Laura to know how special she is her and the kids, Spencer included. Laura tells her, it means so much. A year ago, she and Doc were in love and happy. Now, they’re unrecognizable. She can’t fathom what happened to get them there. Lulu thinks, it begins and ends with an A. Laura knows that’s a factor, but they both insist they didn’t start seeing each other until after she and Doc separated. It’s something else that she hasn’t figured out yet.

Anna tells Ava that Kiki wouldn’t want to tear them apart. Ava says, probably not, but she’s dead, so she doesn’t call the shots. Anna suggests Ava use a service to pack up, but Ava says, no one is touching her daughter’s things. Anna says they’ll leave her then. Griff says he’d like to have something of hers, because he can’t read social cues, and doesn’t get that this is probably a bad time to ask. Ava tells him that he’s already had plenty. He didn’t kill Kiki, but took her just the same. Anna wants go, and Ava dares Griff to stay and watch her put evert bit of Kiki in boxes. She asks how it feels, being left emptyhanded. The same way she was when Griff stole Kiki away.

Anna tells Ava that they understand she’s in pain, but it doesn’t give her license to attack Griff. Griff says they’re both grieving, but Ava says his grief doesn’t compare. She asks if he knows what grief looks like. Kiki saved every bit of her childhood; every scrap. She pulls out a homemade card with a child’s handprint on it, and reads, for Mommy, who holds my hand when I’m afraid. She says, report cards, birthday cards, Kiki saved every card Ava gave her. She was going to make a collage one day. One day. She says all of the Kikis she knew and loved are there. The three-year-old ballet dancer; the six-year-old who loved roller coasters she was too small to ride; a short story she wrote when she was ten; a hat she tried to knit. Ava didn’t just bury one child, but all the little girls Kiki was while growing up. Anna asks if there’s someone they can call, but suddenly there, not-Doc says, that’s all right; he’s there. Ava cries, and he holds her. Griff wipes a tear from his eye.

Laura asks Lulu how she got her hands on such privileged information. Lulu says she was dropping off a care package to Dante ‘s partner. Laura says, and she just happened to see Mary Pat’s file? Lulu says, no. She was looking at Kiki’s file, where they’d noted similarities in the two killings, and suspected a pattern. Laura asks if they think it might be one killer. Lulu says in both cases, the body was moved, and found at a party or event, and they were both killed with a knife. Carly has been eavesdropping, and says she’s sorry to interrupt, but is Lulu saying the police are investigating a serial killer?

Oscar tells Josslyn, it’s hard to believe how different everything was last Christmas. They found his mother’s CD, and the letter. He didn’t even know Drew was his dad. Josslyn says it seems like Drew’s been his dad longer than a year. She asks if he wishes his parents were back together, and he says, it seems dumb, but yeah. She says, it’s not dumb, but he says he sounds like a little kid. It would make him feel better about everything if his dad was looking after his mom, but she still has Julian. Josslyn tells him, like he said, a lot can change in year.

Kim tells Drew that she’s praying the treatment works, but wondering what happens if it’s not reducing the tumor. Drew says they’ll just have to find a way to squeeze the world into the time they have left with him.

Willow tells Michael that she got to hold her son for a while. His weight and warmth helped; he was so perfect and fragile. She knew she had to give him up, but couldn’t let go. She eventually asked the nurse to take him, and her arms felt so empty afterward. At night, she has dreams of holding him again. Michael does that too. Dreams that Jonah is alive, and he’s holding him. When he wakes up and remembers, like she said, his arms feel empty.

Nelle tells Obrecht she had her baby alone, and it didn’t survive. Obrecht says he was born strong and vital. If he was an actor, she’d have given him a ten. Trauma didn’t kill him. Maybe Nelle did. Nelle says everything she did was to protect him and give him life, and Obrecht wonders why it doesn’t sound like he’s dead now. Nelle says she still feels him with her. She’s still in morning. Why is Obrecht mocking her grief? Obrecht says, while they’re on the subject, Maxie told her that Michael is devastated. She can only imagine his gratitude if he were to learn the truth.

Ava tells not-Doc that she needs to go through everything, and he says, she shall, but not everything needs to be done today. Anna says they came to help, but not-Doc doesn’t know how much help Griff can be. Me neither, and I actually think them showing up is rather insensitive. He says Ava can look through everything at home, and picks up the box, telling Anna and Griff to lock up when they leave. When they’re gone, Anna tells Griff not to let Ava’s anger and bitterness affect him. it’s the last thing Kiki would want.

Kim and Drew go back to Oscar’s room. Drew asks where Josslyn is, and Oscar says she took off on an errand. He tells them to check out his planner.

Josslyn goes to Charlie’s. Julian asks if Oscar is okay, and she says he’s doing good today. He says he was planning on stopping by later with a sandwich, and he wants to be there for Kim as well. Josslyn says, the best way to help Kim is to help Oscar. He asks if she has any idea how he can do that, and she says, give up Kim.

Laura asks Lulu how closely the police have linked the murders, but she only knows it’s being investigated, and has no specifics. Carly says she was framed for Mary Pat’s murder, and Griff was framed for Kiki’s. What if part of the pattern is the killer framing obvious suspects? Lulu didn’t think of that. Carly says there’s a strong possibility the killer isn’t finished, and will target someone else. Why haven’t the police said anything? Ned walks in, and Laura says, maybe the mayor can enlighten them.

Nelle tells Obrecht that Michael won’t listen to her. Obrecht says Nelle framed his mother for pushing her down the stairs. It’s not a stretch. And she doesn’t need to convince him; only suggest a DNA test on the deceased child. Nelle says Michael isn’t worthy of her son. He wanted to steal her baby, and let his bitch of a mother raise him. Carly doesn’t get to win. Obrecht is concerned about the baby. If Nelle doesn’t tell her the truth, she’ll be compelled to tell the police everything. Nelle’s move.

Nelle refuses to answer. Obrecht asks if she dispatched a baby, and switched them. Nelle says she didn’t kill any baby, and Obrecht says, prove it. Nelle says after Obrecht left, she made her way back to the road, thinking she’d hitch a ride to Sawyerville, and figure out a way across the border. She knew her plan would never work, and Michael’s family would never let her keep the baby. Fate stepped in. Obrecht asks how fate came to her assistance, and Nelle says, Brad was on the side of the road. The newborn that he and Lucas planned to adopt had died. Brad was a wreck, and Lucas didn’t know; he was still at the hospital. Obrecht says, fate showed up after all. It says it gave her a healthy baby, and she passed the other off as her own. Nelle says, with people who truly love him, and are more deserving than Michael and his mother.

Michael says Willow should meet his godson. Holding him helps. The family is crazy about him. Willow says, he’s a lucky boy to be so loved, and Michael says he brought joy back in their hearts. He thinks they’re the lucky ones to be able to love him the way they do.

Josslyn tells Julian that Oscar’s parents have a real connection. They rely on each other, and are getting closer all the time. It’s Oscar’s one upside to being sick. Julian says, that’s a fantasy. They’re not together. Josslyn says, they could be, if he stepped aside. He’s the one person who can make Oscar’s wish come true.

Laura asks Ned if the police have advised him that a serial killer is on the loose. He asks her to keep her voice down. They suspect there might be one. Laura says, the people have a right to know, but Ned says he doesn’t want a panic. The investigation is ongoing. Lulu asks if she can tell her readers that, and he asks if she wants to create paranoia and panic to sell papers. Olivia pulls Lulu away, asking if she wants an exclusive on what’s happening with the new pediatric wing, and let people read about good things for a change.

Not-Doc and Ava go to the MetroCourt bar. He orders two martinis, very dry with extra olives, just how I like Ava likes them. He says there’s a situation that requires his attention, but shouldn’t take long.

Back at Ferncliff, Laura approaches Doc, who’s lying on the bed. He tells her she’s not safe. Give him what he wants; walk away. Laura says she took a vow to stand by him, whatever life holds in store, and she’s going to keep her promise. She’ll love him every day for the rest of her life. Doc says it will get her killed. She touches him, and then disappears. He says he has to do something to save Laura.

Not-Doc comes up behind Carly, startling her. He ask why she’s jumpy, and she says it must just be the day. She asks what she can do for him. He says she wanted information about her neighbor at Ferncliff. She asks if he’s gotten more than name, and he says he did. He couldn’t wait to share the truth with her personally.

Nelle says, now that Obrecht knows everything, whatever she does, please leave her son with Brad and Lucas. They deserve him; Michael doesn’t. Obrecht tells her not to worry. She finds the truth is left best unsaid – until one really needs it. She leaves, and Nelle looks freaked.

Willow asks Michael, what godson? and he says Wiley Cooper Jones.  He shows her a baby’s first Christmas ornament that has his footprint on it. He says, it’s a mouthful, but the name suits him. Willow says, it’s beautiful.

Griff tells Anna that he remembers the afternoon he and Kiki became neighbors. His radiator wasn’t working, and he came over to see what was going on. Hers was broken too, and she tried teaching him the subtle art of banging on it with a wrench. Even then, she was gorgeous; it was impossible to look away. He didn’t know it then, but he was already in love. Anna says, someday the memory won’t hurt so much, and he’ll be glad of them. Griff says he’ll have to take her word for it. He looks in the DVD player, and takes a disk out. He says he knew it would still be there. From Here to Eternity. Kiki loved that movie, and insisted he watch it. She said she was a hopeless romantic, and proud of it. Anna asks if he wants to go, and he says there’s nothing for him there. He takes a last look back before closing the door.

Olivia tells Lulu that they had to struggle to rebuild after the earthquake. They’re just now making a comeback. She’s hoping Lulu will make the right choice, and write about how people are coming together. Lulu says she writes the truth, but Olivia says there’s more going on in Port Charles than a murder investigation. She can choose to write about some of that.

Looking in the planner, Kim tells Oscar that she sees a lot of baking. How about, get teeth cleaned?

Julian tells Josslyn that he’s not walking away from Kim. She needs him. Josslyn says he’s wrong, and just being selfish. He doesn’t care that he’s taking away Oscar’s dream. Julian says Drew and Kim aren’t getting back together because Oscar wants them to. Josslyn asks if it’s ever occurred to Julian that they need each other. Oscar’s parents want to spend time together with their dying son. They’re a family. Why doesn’t he step aside, and let them be a family in the time they have left? I guess she’s never heard of co-parenting?

Doc thinks about what Ryan said. There are gaps only he can fill. He says, there may be a way to save Laura.

Not-Doc tells Carly that her Ferncliff neighbor’s name is Wilson Ritter. He’s an extremely dangerous sociopath, and committed unspeakable crimes. He’s been restrained for himself and other’s safety. His cries for help were manipulations. He’s glad she didn’t act on them. She could have gotten hurt if she’d gotten too close. She thanks him, and he asks if she can now leave Ferncliff behind and go on with her life. She says, that’s the plan. She’s glad she got nowhere near that guy.

Ned tells Laura that this is exactly the reaction he’s trying to avoid. How long before a homeless person is mistaken for the killer and shot? Laura thinks the public has a right to know. Ava approaches them, and asks if Ned hears himself. A killer is out there, and needs to be found before they kill someone else’s daughter. Either find them, or she will. Not-Doc listens from the sidelines.

Tomorrow, Anna asks someone to move in with her (I assume Finn, but we don’t see who she’s talking to), Laura thinks Doc is headed for another breakdown, a man sees Jason, and says, it’s really him.

📺 Tradition Lives On in Reruns…

Since they did end up showing the December 23, 2005 episode of GH on Christmas Eve, I got my traditional reading of the Christmas story. Even better, it was Alan who read it. IMO, one of their biggest mistakes was killing him off. An even worse mistake? Bringing him back as a ghost after they realized their first mistake. Did they think they were Port Charles?

👓 Recap on a Rerun…

Bravo aired last week’s The Real Housewives of New Jersey, but I was able to pay a little more attention. So in case you didn’t see it…

Dolores wondered how Danielle had a ring on her finger, and she couldn’t even get new main squeeze David to commit to dinner. Marge had a brunch where everyone did facial masks, except Danielle, who claimed to be allergic to everything. Dolores defended Teresa, saying Melissa could have approached Joe #2 about spending more time with their father. Jackie horned in on the conversation, taking Melissa’s side, causing Teresa’s blood to boil. Jackie said she was too old to be screamed at, and Teresa told her to butt out of the family’s business. The verboten subject of Joe #1 came up, and it was on. Marge said instead of mud masks, it was mud-slinging, and Teresa was done with Melissa and Jackie. Melissa said it was either namaste or kill with Teresa; there was no in-between. Marge thought they’d be taking a lot of baggage to Bimini. Danielle was Bridezilla all the way, starting with not being able to carry her own bag off the plane. I love a Bridezilla. Only on TV though. I’d never want to deal with one personally, and I was as far from one as it gets.

Dolores talked with a group of women who were seriously down on their luck. Like on their way to the shelter down. In her interview, she said it was a reminder for her not to sweat the small stuff, and assured them that hard times were only temporary in her experience. I looked blankly at the TV, since Delores has probably had a better life experience than most people, and hard times can go on forever. In a moment of clarity, Teresa decided not to involve Gia in her argument with Joe #2, since being without her mother taught her that you can’t buy back time, and she wanted Gia to spend time with her uncle. Marty talked about choosing Danielle over his children, which Joe #2 thought was bullsh*t in his interview. Teresa and Melissa argued at dinner, and Joe #2 pulled them aside, saying it had to stop. He didn’t want to deal with their nonsense anymore. They had to love each other. They ended up hugging it out, but we’ll see how long that lasts. Next time, Los Cabos, naked dudes, Gia raps, and Melissa wants to go home.

🎉 The next new episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey will be aired on Sunday, December 30th, at 9 pm. There won’t be much new anything on New Year’s Eve, but there will be a Vanderpump Rules behind-the-scenes special from 2016. The finale of Unanchored – or as I call it, Summer House at Sea – will also be aired, because no one cares. Andy Cohen will be hosting New Year’s Eve festivities with Anderson Cooper on CNN, where they will giggle the night away. He said he’d never do it again, but I wish Andy would have another New Year’s Eve special on Bravo. The night Giggy married Grandma Wrinkles was the best New Year’s Eve ever. And yes. I know how sad that sounds.

⛄ Because Christmas is a foot, but my tree was not, here’s a mini-cap of…

Vanderpump Rules

Lisa talked to her manager about Katie’s old tomato ultimatum. The business partner seemed more concerned about how James brought in 20% more business on Tuesdays than that he’s a cretin.

Scheana bitched to Billie and Ariana about being told she has no loyalty, since she rides both sides of the fence on everything. Then, in a surprising twist, and at the risk of losing every friend she has, except maybe Raquel, Scheana got on James’s case about his smack talk. She basically told him that they could no longer be friends.

Brittany created the first batch of beer cheese. Jax found out it takes effort to create your own food business, and they need things like a permit. I guess he thought they’d just sell it from the bed of a truck or by mental telepathy or something.

Schwartz declared the beer cheese dangerously delicious. He claimed James apologized for fat shaming Katie, and called her sexy and luscious. Um… no. Schwartz called her sexy and luscious, and James nodded his head because he wanted it to go away. Katie didn’t care, and told them about her threatening to quit if James wasn’t fired. Stassi thought Katie was bad ass, but couldn’t predict how Lisa would react.

The water company wanted $165K to hook TomTom up, which sounded insane to everyone, but Lisa thought it would be worth it in the long run. The two Toms interviewed people for the new restaurant. Lisa said that Tom acted like he was vetting Supreme Court justices, whereas Schwartz seemed like he wanted to cuddle with all the applicants. Teddi’s brother was hired immediately.

James got his entire family together for dinner, and gave his graduating brother five grand as a gift. In her interview, Raquel made excuses for him, saying he’s not the most polite or respectful guy, but he’s sweet and kind. Too bad she and his family are the only ones who think so. I might also add that James was the one who announced he’d given his brother five grand. Not too tacky.

Stassi approached Ariana about how Ariana gives leeway to everyone, but her. Ariana said she thought it was because there was a time Stassi acted like she was the boss of everyone. This was confusing, since I thought that was Ariana’s job. I know she has issues, but I find her attitude annoying at this point. Get some therapy.

James compared DJ-ing sober to reading Harry Potter after seeing the movie; it was boring. I was more surprised that James knows how to read. Lala had just been to a Hollywood premiere with Randall, and found See You Next Tuesday a buzzkill. Lisa realized she had to listen to the others when it came to James, since he showed her a different side of himself. Business partner Guillermo was excited about the crowd, but Lisa felt she had to include three factors in her decision; Katie’s emotional decimation, devastating James, and the people who were focused on the business he brought in on Tuesday nights.

Lala pulled Raquel aside to talk to her. She wasn’t okay with Raquel saying she supported women, since she couldn’t support herself. She said Raquel was the only the only person who didn’t get it. She apologized for calling Raquel dumb, but… to which Raquel responded that she’d just graduated with a degree. Well, that doesn’t necessarily mean you’re intelligent, and her degree obviously isn’t in facing reality. Lala told her to wake up. Raquel felt she was being torn down instead of built up. She accused Lala of bonding with the others over smack talking James, and Lala said they were bonding over her father dying, calling Raquel an insensitive twat. Continuing her ride down the river called denial, Raquel said Lala heard something she didn’t like, and played the dad card. She told James that she felt ganged up on, so James called Randall fat, and said his movie, Gotti, only got 0% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Lisa wanted a confab with James. He was scared, nervous, and preparing for the worst, as he should be. He is the worst. Leida from 90 Day Fiancé probably beats him for the title, but it’s close. Schwartz didn’t want to see anyone burned, but admitted James was doing it to himself. Lisa told James that she couldn’t stand behind his name calling, and that he’d put her in a difficult position. He can’t be a face of her company with that behavior. James’s first reaction was to tell her that he wasn’t a face of her company. Wrong answer. He’s such a dimbulb, he probably didn’t even understand what she meant. James said he changed when he drank, and he was never touching alcohol again. He told Lisa that he would stop drinking if she gave him another chance, but she said she couldn’t. She had to stand in defense of those he’d wronged. He cried (no big surprise, since it’s his M.O.), and said she couldn’t take this away from him, but she said he took it away from himself. She told him to grow up and pull himself together. He begged and pleaded, but she said she couldn’t risk it. She said he had to change, and hopefully this would be a life-changing moment. He whimpered and whined, but that was a hard no. Lisa was sensitive to the fact that James is a young DJ, like her brother. She said there were two paths, a right one, and a wrong one, and she saw almost an echo.

There will be a rerun of this episode tomorrow, December 24th at 9 pm. VPR returns on January 7th with a winter party, and is the party over for Stassi’s boyfriend? Lisa also visits James. Please, no. It’s depressing enough to hear Beau might be a dud, and James will learn nothing if she relents. Unless she offers him a dishwashing position.

🎅 New GH episode or no, I still have some stuff to finish tomorrow for Christmas. There was a time when I had all my cards out the week after Thanksgiving. Now, it’s lucky if I get them out by Christmas Eve. My husband and I also tend to wrap our presents to each other five minutes before we’re opening them. Z Nation

Murphy is behind a metal fence with the talkers. He tells Estes that he came as a show of good faith, but Estes tells him that he had a choice. Murphy says his friends need some biscuits. Estes says he has a vote to prepare for. Murphy tells him that his friends live for democracy, but Estes says his democracy is only for the living. Murphy says, it’s voter suppressing. Estes tells the talkers, get on the bus. Murphy says talkers get nippy when they’re hungry. He sees that one of the buses is missing a tire, the talkers are obviously agitated, and there’s no driver. He concentrates, and the talkers calm down. He sees Addie taking aim in the distance, and says, these buses aren’t going anywhere.

A guard scans people as they go into the Altura campus. One man sets the alarm off. Another guard says, traitor! and shoots him. Hiding inside, Kaya is busy on the laptop getting clearance for Roberta, George, and Citizen Z. CZ and George get through easily, but the scanner does something weird when it’s Roberta’s turn. Kaya’s fingers fly over the keyboard. Roberta tells the guard, try again, and she gets through. George says, marshal law before voting day? Estes is unreal. Roberta tells her, no matter what, they stick to the plan. CZ is off to find Kaya, and Roberta tells him, stay alive.

CZ goes through the halls, and quietly calls Kaya’s name. He opens the front of a vending machine, and finds her in a space behind it. She asks if he got it, and he gives her a flashdrive, saying, the keys to the kingdom. Two guards walk past the machine, but don’t notice anything. Kaya says, Altura at her fingertips, and CZ says, the perfect setup. She tells him, let’s rock.

George tells Roberta that Estes’s office is this way. Roberta says, when the time comes, she’ll deal with him. A guard tells them to stop, and they move faster. Another guard tries to block them, but they knock him down and run. The first guard aims his gun, telling them to freeze and get on their knees. He says traitors have a lot of nerve showing up there. He cuffs them, and Roberta says they’ll regret this.

Pandora approaches the talker buses with her assistant. The guards are all lying on the ground, dead. There’s a huge smear of blood on the side of one of the buses. She touches it, and tastes it. She asks if she’s supposed to believe strung out talkers did this. She sees the bus is empty, but Murphy pops up from a back seat, saying, don’t shoot. He tells her that he loved her in Phantom of the Apocalypse. She asks where her men are. He says she’s Estes’s mascot, and she says he’s the big red one, the proprietor of Limbo. He says he was, until Estes’s goons forced him out of business. She calls him a friend to talkers, and a talker lovers friend, which makes him a traitor. He says he’s been called much worse. She asks what happened, and he tells her that he was forced on the bus, and the talkers went batsh*t crazy. She asks if he expects her to believe they were overrun by starving talkers. She takes out a switchblade, and asks where the talkers are now. He says, they ran off, and she tells him that she could eat his brains and find out what she needs to know. Her assistant grabs Murphy from behind, and Pandora says, stop stalling. Murphy says he got knocked out, and when he woke up, everyone was gone. She says, it doesn’t matter. He can’t protect them anyway. Her phone rings, and Murphy wonders where everybody is getting phones. It’s Estes. Pandora tells him that she understands, and she’s on her way. Murphy says she’s not taking him, but she says there’s no need. Estes has already arrested George and Roberta, and he’ll never be welcome there.

Roberta sees a surveillance camera, and tells George that Kaya and CZ will find them. Behind the vending machine, CZ asks Kaya if she’s found anything, but she’s still checking cameras. Pandora is back, and Estes tells her that he doesn’t like it. They’re up to something before the election. Pandora asks him to let her find out, and he says, the talkers need to stay lost. Pandora tells him not to worry. They won’t be voting; she’ll make sure. George will tell them what they need to know. She passionately kisses Estes, but his eyes stay open.

Doc has brought the talkers to the spot Roberta told him to. He tells them, let’s go. They’ve got their orders. The talkers and Addie come out. 10K and Doc set up a tent. Addie gives out biscuits.

Estes says hello to George and Roberta, and George tells him, save it. She asks what happened? and if he’s been lying to her this whole time. He says, unbridled idealism is easy to direct, but Roberta thinks the word he wants is manipulate. George asks if the final mercy is his idea of democracy. Estes says they’re the ones who hacked him. George wonders how his much his fellow Alturans will believe in him when they find out he was behind the blast. He asks who they’re going to find out from. Them? Roberta says, the truth always comes out. He says while they’re in a cell, he’s going to be elected supreme commander, and have them convicted of treason. In Altura, they take a dim view of election interference. Roberta asks, why? and he tells her, it’s not personal; just evolution. He tells the guard to bring George. Roberta asks where he’s taking her, and Estes says, to answer a few questions. He tells Roberta not to worry. He’s playing good cop. Pandora and her assistant show up.

In the lab, Red and Sun watch a dismembered hand jump around. Red says she’ll ever get used to that, and Sun tells her, the zombie virus is singularly focused. It wants brains. Red says she feels bad for Becky, but Sun says, Becky is at peace now. The virus is making the hand move. She’s run tests on Murphy’s blood, and it comes back to where it started. There’s something in it that has the same neuroreceptors as in the virus. Red asks if Sun is close, and Sun says maybe they’ll get lucky. She injects the hand. It’s still for a moment, then flips all around, becomes still again, then moves like a normal hand. Sun says it killed the virus and rehumanized the hand. Red says she’s found the cure.

Alone with Roberta, Estes tells her, welcome back to Altura. Her appearance was unexpected, and her timing curious. She thanks him for the warm welcome, and adds, Altura hospitality needs a little work. He asks where the talkers are, and she says, what talkers? He says they’re planning something that’s doomed to fail. They can’t stop the vote, but she can stop the bloodshed right now. Is she willing to decide for every human that her way is right? He asks where the talkers are, and she laughs.

CZ tells Kaya to go back to George. Kaya says that chick with the creepy mask makes her nervous. She sees Pandora torturing George, and the laptop goes out. CZ says there must have been a power surge, and Kaya says she has to reboot. A guy loses money in the vending machine, and starts cursing it out. CZ drops a soda down manually. Kaya says, this could take a while.

Pandora tells George that she could break a finger or toe, or her nose. She picks up a wrench. George asks what it’s like being Estes’s pet. He’s using her. Pandora says they’re using each other. Estes has big plans, and she’s his queen. George tells her to keep telling herself that. Pandora asks why they’re in Altura, and George says, sightseeing. Pandora asks where the talkers are, and George says, she rounded them up; you tell me. Pandora is glad George isn’t cooperating, and picks up a cattle prod. George asks why she’s chosen Estes over her own kind, and Pandora says she’s not a talker. George says, there’s no shame in being dead. Her best friend was a talker. Pandora says, the poor rebel Dante. So devoted to her. George tells her not to talk about him, but Pandora says she’s earned the right to say whatever she wants about him. George asks what that’s supposed to mean, and Pandora says she doesn’t know? This is even better than electricity. She killed Dante, not random vigilantes. He asked her to give George a message. His last words were, George help me. Why did she leave him alone? He needs her. She shocks George with the prod, as she mimics Dante. George says he was the best person she’s ever known, and Pandora says he wasn’t a person. He wasn’t even a talker. In the end, all that was left was a bag of garbage. She’s asking one more time where the talkers are. She shocks George, and laughs.

10K wonders why Murphy is never around for the heavy lifting, and Doc says, he’s clever that way. He tells 10K that he’s a good man, and 10K thanks him. Doc says, it’s nice to know a compliment still means something in a world like this. He says, no matter what happens, keep going. He’s like a cockroach, and his dad would be proud. Doc loves him like his own son, and 10K says he feels the same way. He asks if Doc thinks this is going to work, and Doc says, it had better. Lives depend on it. He calls for more cable.

Addie supervises the talkers, who are building a sandbag wall. Murphy joins her, and Addie says they’re almost ready. Murphy says, back there at the buses, she had a lot of issues to work out. She says she did it for them, not him. He tells her she has a way with her Z whacker.

Estes tells Roberta, any attack on Altura by the talkers would be folly. He senses she knows that, but Roberta says he’s confusing her with someone who scares easily. Tell the people of Altura they’re friends, let them vote, and maybe she’ll let him live. Estes says it’s amusing that she thinks there’s still a debate to be had. He tells her, goodbye, and as he’s leaving, she says, there will come a time when everyone turns talker, Remember that.

Red and Sun pack up some supplies. Red asks where they’re going, and Sun says, anywhere out of Estes’s hands, even Z territory. Red says she has a friend with access to an Altura truck. Sun tells her to be careful, but hurry. Red leaves, and Sun packs up the blood sample vials. Estes walks in, and asks if she’s going somewhere with his lab.

Guards put Roberta in another room. She asks, where’s George?

Kaya tells CZ that she’s trying to patch a workaround. She sees Roberta, and says she’s back in. Roberta signals for her to unlock the door, and she does. CZ wonders where George is. Kaya looks in other rooms, and sees Estes with Sun in the lab. CZ tells her, find George, then go back to that. She gets to the room George is in, and says, it’s bad. CZ says he’s going to find Roberta, and they’re getting George, and tells her to keep an eye on Sun. She tells him to be careful, and hand her a diet Coke on his way out.

Pandora keeps shocking George, who’s battered and bloody. She says, the talkers are planning an attack. George hopes Pandora didn’t break a nail on her face. Pandora shocks her again, and asks what she’s planning with the talkers; tell her. George says, and ruin her fun? Pandora says she can do this for as long as it takes, and George says, ditto. Pandora’s assistant brings in a zombie wearing a hood. The assistant removes the covering on the zombie’s mouth and eyes.

Sun tells Estes that she doesn’t want the samples to be contaminated. He tells her, have a seat; she seems tired. She say the trials have taken a toll on her. He says he hasn’t seen her in days. He picks up one of the vials, and asks what it is. She says, another failure, and he asks, why keep it? She says to learn why it failed, He picks up a syringe, and asks what’s in it. She tells him it’s the pure Z virus. He holds it up to a drone near the ceiling, and she asks if he’s been spying on her. What does he want? He says she already knows the answer. He takes out a gun, and tells her to get comfortable. He straps her to the chair, and she asks what he’s doing. He says, compelling the witness, and injects her. He says now maybe she’ll tell him the Z cure. He wants to watch it work on a human subject. He asks, which one is the vaccine? She shakes her head, and he says he’ll find it himself. He has no shortage of human subjects, starting with her and her friends. A guard comes in, and Estes says he had one job, and he let Roberta escape. He tells Sun not to go anywhere. He leaves, and she begins to turn.

Pandora asks George if they’re planning to attack on Altura’s election day. George isn’t telling her, and Pandora says, so they are planning to attack. She asks where the talkers are hiding. She says she’s barely touched George, and runs a knife over George’s face. She licks the knife, and says she finds George delicious. Where are the talkers? She tells George, through face is the long way to the brain, but the nose cartilage and eye cavities go easy. Where are the talkers? George says, don’t do this, but Pandora says she can’t disappoint Pierre. She brings the zombie over to George, and talks baby talk to him. He gets crazy, and Pandora asks again where the talkers are. She recommends that George tell her before Pierre eats her, and brings him closer. George says, get him away, and Pandora says, good boy! Down! She’s asking one more time, where are the talkers?

Red comes back to the lab. She says she got the truck, but doesn’t know if they have enough gas. She finds Sun in the chair, and sees that she’s turned. She asks, what happened? and Sun points to the vials.  Red takes out a syringe, but Sun gets loose and comes after her. Red drops the syringe, but manages to get it back. She tries to inject Sun while struggling with her. Sun gets Red down on the floor, but Red is able to inject her. Sun becomes human again, and Red says, it really works. Sun looks down, and there’s a broken beaker imbedded in her stomach.

Addie tells Murphy, even if the talkers get to vote, does he think they’ll fit in as well as the two of them. She thinks Estes won’t let it happen. Murphy says, let George and Roberta take care of Estes, and Addie says, there will always be another one. Humans aren’t evolving. Murphy says they are, but Addie is afraid there’s no place for them. He suggests they take the talkers and start over, but she doesn’t know.

Estes tells a guard to double the security, and find Roberta. He doesn’t want her skulking around today of all days. Pandora approaches him, and says, George broke. Estes hopes Pandora had fun, and Pandora says, George spilled her guts – literally. The talkers are setting up a staging area near Pacifica. Estes says he’ll activate security, and send everyone available to wipe their kind from the face of the earth. She asks, what about guarding Altura? He says he’ll do that, and asks where George is. Pandora says George and Pierre are having a snack. Estes says, good for Pierre.

Pierre keeps rushing at George, and she keeps kicking him back. He suddenly kneels in front of her.

CZ asks Roberta, which room? and she says, they all look the same. He asks Kaya to unlock a door at the end of the hall. They go in and find George on the floor. Roberta sees Pierre on the floor, unmoving, and says, a little close for comfort. CZ asks how George did that. I’d like to know too. Roberta asks if George gave it up, and George says, all of it. CZ says they have to find Sun; she’s alone with Estes. That can’t be good.

Sun tells Red to leave the glass in her. CZ and Roberta come in, and CZ asks where Estes is. Sun says, he’s coming back. She tells them she did it. Roberta says, the vaccine works? CZ asks if it’s like biscuit booster packs, and George asks if it restores talkers. Sun says, talkers and zombies, fresh ones anyway. Roberta asks if it’s a cure, and Sun says, it’s a start. Roberta says they can’t let Estes find out. They need to grab Sun’s resources and go. Sun says she can’t. What they need is in her head.

Doc rolls a joint, and 10K says, last smoke? Doc tells him, don’t be a fatalist. 10K leaves to get the truck. Doc lights up.

Murphy tells Addie that the talkers seem nervous. Addie tells them, hold tight, and Murphy says, the vote and citizenship are waiting if they want it, but they have to take it. Addie says they’ll help, and tells them, arm up. The talkers are each carrying a staff. They raise them, and march toward Altura.

Pandora sees a dead Pierre, and yowls. Estes says, they went to the lab.

Sun says she’s dying. She’ll be the first death since the black rain. Roberta says they can get more of Murphy’s blood, but Sun says the antibodies are evolving daily. They have to take her brain and preserve it before she dies. CZ says they can sew her up, but she says she’s lost too much blood. If Estes gets ahold of her… George says she won’t let him. Sun tells Red to get the syringe, but Red says she can’t inject Sun with poison. Sun says she can, and will. They’ll leave a dead end, and Estes will have nothing to work with. She tells George to tie her off, so the poison won’t reach her brain tissue. They’ll have what they need to recreate the cure. Red says, no, and hugs Sun. An alarm sounds, and CZ tells them to hurry. Roberta ties Sun off at the neck.

Estes is at the door. It’s locked, but he gets in, finding Sun in the chair with the top of her head gone. Pandora says they took her brain, and the cure with it. Estes says they’ll drain her blood. Maybe they can recover traces of it. He’s going to have every traitor mercied.  He’s going to find them, and kill them all. He leaves, and Pandora caresses Sun’s face, asking, where did your little brain go?

We see Roberta and George leaving with a carrying case.

Next Friday, the finale is a killer. We see the real Pandora, and Mario van Peebles (Cooper) is back.

While I wasn’t able to be as annoyingly detailed today – ha-ha – but here’s a mini-cap.

Willow is the mother Julian convinced to give up her son. She asked Julian, what if Diane knew Julian was involved? It might void the adoption altogether. Julian said Willow put her son first and there’s no greater act of love, and that Wiley was better off. He showed her all the pictures he had, and said Brad and Lucas loved Wiley with every fiber of their being.

Toys for Tots was promoted, and used as a way to bring Chet back in his Marine uniform. We also learned he’s October in a beefcake calendar. He’s come a long way.

Cameron wrote a letter of apology to the court. He told the other boys that they had to tell mom when they did something wrong, and if they couldn’t do it alone, they’d do it together. Aiden asked Cameron how to get people to like him, and Cameron said the secret was to be himself. He told Aiden that kids his age are dumb, but after a while, they’d catch on.

Peter showed up at Anna’s for her Christmas Eve party thing. She told Finn it was a Christmas miracle. Peter was anxious for Maxie to get there, and helped Anna wrap gifts. They agreed he’d inherited her lack of talent in this area. Chase asked Anna if he could invite Willow, and she was fine with that. Anna told Peter she made a donation every year on his birthday to needy children, and gave him her WSB file on a flashdrive

Oscar got an early Christmas gift from his parents. He thought it was a pair of socks, but there were car key’s in the toe. Monica said that she had the perfect accompaniment to Oscar’s car, but he wouldn’t find out what it was until Christmas. She called all the patients to the hub. When Drew asked, for what? she said, tradition.

Jordan talked to Stella about Mike and Yvonne.

Willow – who’s hair is suddenly considerably darker – was about to go to the bereavement group, when she got the invite from Chase. She ran into Michael, telling him she didn’t want to smile and make conversation when she had a hole inside of her. Michael told her the only people who understand their loss are people who’ve experienced the same thing, and they went to the group together.

Mike told Sonny the disease was teaching him to be in the moment, and not get hung up on what’s coming in the future. Sonny said if Mike could do that, so would he.

Josslyn got pissed at Jason for not telling her Oscar was sick, and letting the time be wasted they could have been together. Jason said he kept Oscar’s secret to help him, but he hated it. Josslyn forgave him, because he made Oscar feel like someone was on his side.

Bobbie told Monica there was a Santa-sized problem. The moths rendered the Santa suit into a bikini.

Oscar wanted to help a sick little girl who thought Santa wouldn’t be able to find her. Drew called Sonny for help. Apparently, he has extra Santa suits on hand.

Monica read The Night Before Christmas, which annoyed the crap out of me. After she just got done talking about tradition, and how the Christmas story had been passed down from Steve to Alan to her, she read this? The tradition was them reading the story of Jesus’s birth, and I don’t give a blip how PC anyone wants to be – that’s what Christmas celebrates. Thanks GH for stomping on tradition. At least we still get pizza on Thanksgiving.

Bobbie ended up in the Santa suit.

Next time, Obrecht asks Nelle where her baby is. Not-Doc thinks he’s pulling it off, and Bobbie says someone can stay. I read online that the December 23, 2005 episode is supposed to air on Monday, but the guide says it’s a new episode, so your guess is as good as mine as to what we’ll see on Christmas Eve.

General Hospital

Bobbie arrives at Sonny’s with Brad Lucas and Wiley. Sonny holds him.

On the phone, Sam says she doesn’t know who’s using her alias. She sent an email, and got an even weirder response. The call gets cut off. Alexis is at the door, wondering where Sam is. Sam had to drop the kids off, and is running late. Alexis says she has to ask Sam to make her apologies. She won’t be able to watch Sam become Wiley’s godmother.

Chase meets Willow at Charlie’s, He thinks it’s an interesting choice for a second date. She tells him it’s the closest he’ll get to her making him breakfast. Not that they… She tells her students, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Chase says, and if the date doesn’t work out, the rest of the day is still salvageable. She says she’s free all day; they’re on break. He promises to make sure no parents are lurking around, but she’s already checked. It’s a parent-free zone.

Valentin tells Nina, good morning. She says, it’s better than good.

At the MetroCourt, Maxie leaves a message for Nina. They had a breakfast meeting; where is she? It had better be super important. Peter approaches the table. He says they haven’t set a date for diner yet, and suggests tomorrow night. She says she’s washing her hair; what about Saturday? He agreed to meet someone at the mall that day. She gets a message from Anna, and tells Peter that Obrecht is being transferred to Pentonville. It must make his day.

Obrecht is brought into the interrogation room. She says she’d rather wait in the snow, and Finn asks if that’s an option. She asks Anna if she’s come to gloat at the woman duped into saving her ill daughter who was never ill. Anna says Obrecht did save her. Not the way she’d planned, but Britt is free and out of prison. Finn shows her proof. Anna appreciates Obrecht’s concern for her daughter, and she’s sure Obrecht appreciates her concern for her son. Jordan says the van is ready, and if Obrecht is thinking about another escape, think again. It will never happen. Obrecht says a famous doctor, a legendary spy, and a decorated officer. You’d think they’d have learned never say never.

Sonny jokes that Wiley can always stay with him as the godfather. Brad asks Carly if that should make him nervous. Josslyn comes in, calling it a hipster baptism, and Michael says, it’s a naming ceremony. A celebration of Wiley and his place in the family. The house phone rings. Josslyn answers. She tells Sonny Julian is there.

Alexis tells Sam that she has to appear in person for a case. Sam says she’s sure they’ll understand, but she could have just called. Alexis says she wanted to see Sam, then admits she wanted to see Kristina. Sam says she’s not there. Alexis asks if they talked about her, and how mad is Kristina? Sam says they didn’t talk about her, and on a scale of one to ten, it’s from an eight to an eleven. Alexis says she didn’t accuse Kristina of anything. Sam says it’s not a good idea to jump to conclusions, but understands why Alexis has reason to mistrust Kristina. She sees it from both sides. She doesn’t want to get stuck in the middle, and Kristina doesn’t want her advice any more than she wants Alexis’s.

Nina tells Valentin that she has to… She looks at her phone, and realizes she’s ridiculously late. He tells her to stay. She’s going to have to apologize anyway. Nina says at least she gets to come home to him. She’s accepted he’s her home. Valentin says she’s his. She says, even though Sasha is in Chappaqua, she’s still in her heart, and she has Valentin to thank. She’ll thank him forever for bringing them together.

Peter knows Maxie’s feelings toward Obrecht are conflicted. Maxie says, that’s an understatement. Obrecht deserves to go to prison, but Maxie also understands she acted out of grief. Nathan’s death was too much for her, and she has no family or friends to turn to. So she’s not surprised Obrecht flipped out. Peter says it sounds like she’s still struggling. She says Obrecht is also Nathan’s mom, and she knows, no matter what, Nathan wouldn’t want his mother going to prison. She’s James’s grandmother. What is she supposed to tell him? Peter’s phone rings. He says it’s not important.

Jordan tells Obrecht that they’re well-aware of what happened last time, but Obrecht says she was a helpless prisoner; a victim of an unfortunate accident. Jordan says, unfortunate for the two guards. She’s lucky they survived. Obrecht says that’s more than can be said for her son. Nathan is dead. The chain of events was set in motion by Anna’s son, and he was never punished. Anna says, he was; Obrecht saw to that. Obrecht asks who she thinks she’s fooling. This is about Anna getting back at her; not justice. Finn says it is about justice. She had a right to grieve, but not take revenge. Them bringing her back was legal, and she’s going to stand trial. Hopefully, she’ll be convicted, and that will be justice.

Julian asks what Lucas is doing at Sonny’s. Lucas says, he doesn’t know? Julian says, looks like a family celebration. Sonny tells him not to make trouble, and he says he’s there to pick up Avery. It’s Ava’s day, and with all that’s happened, she thought it best if he came. Sam walks in. She didn’t know Julian was on the guest list. He explains again why he’s there. Sonny says Ava is in no condition, but Julian says she loves Avery as much as he does. Sonny thinks Avery should be celebrating with her family, and not dealing with Ava’s grief. Carly says, it’s not Avery’s job to make Ava feel better. Sonny says she’s just a child. Josslyn finds Avery, who’s been listening, and wonders if she’s done something wrong.

Avery asks if her mommy is still sad, and Julian says, a little; she misses Avery. Avery asks if she’s sad about Kiki, and Michael says they’ll all be sad about Kiki for a long time. Carly asks if Avery wants to see her mommy, and Avery says she does. Carly tells Sonny, it’s what she wants. Sonny says she can’t be alone, and Julian says he’ll be there. Carly takes Avery to get ready. Julian congratulates Brad and Lucas. He leaves to wait for Avery. Michael needs some Wiley time, and Lucas gives Wiley to him.

Bobbie thanks Sonny for not having Julian thrown out, like he deserves. He thought she was into peaceful coexistence, and she says, it’s easier from a distance.

Chase asks if Willow is finished Christmas shopping, and she says she hasn’t begun. She likes the last minute thing though. He tells he that’s a sign of mental illness, but she says she likes the energy, music, and decorations. Chase says, parking and long lines. She tells him that she doesn’t have much of a list. He says his mom is Christmas crazy. Their house is like the mall the entire month. Willow says Christmas wasn’t a big deal for her growing up; long story. He says he has the time, and would like to know.

Maxie tells Peter about a serious conflict over James’s Christmas outfit. He’s totally distracted, and she asks if something is wrong. He says there’s something he has to do, but he hasn’t forgotten about dinner. She says the week is full of Christmas parties, and he says he wants it to be special. Maybe they should wait until after the holidays, and do it right. He promises it will be worth the wait.

Brad tells Julian he would have invited him if he could have. This day wouldn’t have happened without him. Julian is just glad he and Lucas have their son. Brad says they both know that’s not entirely true, and Julian says he has to stop torturing himself. All that matters is that Wiley is where he deserves and needs to be. Avery is ready to go. Sonny takes her to Julian.

On the phone, Nina says, it’s completely unforgivable; there’s no excuse. Valentin comes in, and asks what’s wrong. She asks him if he thought he could fool her forever. Did he think she’d be so crazy in love, she’d never find out the truth? How long as she been blackmailing him? Valentin says Obrecht is crazy, and Nina says Obrecht told her everything. How he got a stranger to masquerade as her daughter. Both Valentin’s and my heart sink. How he faked the DNA test. How he used her deepest, darkest pain to get her back in bed. She slaps him. He’s only been fantasizing, and walks in again.

He asks Nina, what’s unforgivable? and she says she is. She blew off her breakfast meeting with Maxie. Valentin and I both breathe a sigh of relief. She tells him she’s not even sorry, and kisses him.

Jordan tells Obrecht, next stop, Pentonville. Obrecht tells her, so she says. Peter comes in, saying he’s here for Obrecht. Obrecht says she’s about to go to prison, but he says, there’s been a mistake. Anna says they have plenty of security this time. He says he wants to make a statement before there’s a terrible miscarriage of justice. Jordan says they have his signed statement. He said Obrecht drugged him, kept him tied up in a cabin for weeks, and left him to die in a fire. He says, that time was overwhelming. He was hallucinating, and in the throes of a fever. He couldn’t distinguish fantasy from reality. Finn says the only hallucinations he was having were from the drugs Obrecht gave him. Anna says they have the surveillance tape, but Peter says, that proves nothing. They need his statement. Without it, they can’t send her to prison. Anna asks what he’s doing. He says, the more he thinks about it, the less he can trust his memories. Jordan says his DNA was in the cabin. They pulled him out of the fire at Windymere. He was dehydrated and malnourished, and had bruising consistent with restraints. He says he was in the cabin, because Obrecht wanted him to write another book in Nathan’s memory.  She kept him alive while they tried to make sense of Nathan’s loss. They have to let her go.

Nina tells Valentin she loves him. She isn’t standing in the way of their happiness anymore. They’re spending Christmas together. Maybe Sasha could come for Christmas Eve, and they could spend it as a family. He’s given that to her – a family. It’s the most important gift. He tells her there’s something she has to know.

Willow says her childhood was unconventional. Her mother was a free spirit, who raised her alone. She often had to work on Christmas Eve, Christmas day, or both. He thinks it’s sounds lonely, but she says they were a team. He asks if she has other family, and she says they’re not close. He reminds her of the flyer for grieving parents she had in her car when they met, and asks if she knew someone who lost a child. She says, as a teacher, she tries to keep up with things that might affect her students and their families. Anything else, detective? He says he didn’t mean to interrogate her; he wants to get to know her.

Julian brings Avery to Charlie’s. Her mommy isn’t feeling well, so she’s taking a nap. Avery says, no nap, but he says, not her. Her mommy is taking a nap, and she’s going to help him run the place. He makes her his assistant manager. He says she has to make sure his customers are happy. She runs to Chase and Willow’s table, and introduces herself.

Bobbie has never been asked to preside at a naming ceremony before, and thinks it’s fitting that the first time should be her grandson. He has the perfect name, and he couldn’t have a better role model than Sam. She’s honored to be chose to be Wiley’s godmother, and promises to do whatever she can to help him make his way in the world, and love him unconditionally. When he gets lost, just look around and know she and his godfather will be there. Lucas thanks Michael for agreeing to be Wiley’s godfather.

Michael says it’s a gift to be a part of Wiley’s life, and he fell in love with Wiley the first time he saw him. He’s a reminder of everything good in the world, and if he can be an extra pair of arms to hold him, he’s honored to be Wiley’s godfather. Bobbie welcomes Wiley Cooper Jones to the family, and hopes he cherishes his name as much as all of them will always cherish him. Josslyn says every important occasion needs an accessory, and puts a Hello, My Name Is… tag on him. Brad takes a picture of Lucas and Wiley.

Willow introduces herself to Wiley. Chase says they’ve met before. He asks if she remembers him bringing her home when she spent the night with her grandfather in the stable. Julian comes over to apologize, but Chase says, no problem. Julian says she’s there until her nanny comes. She’s in charge of customer satisfaction. He asks if she wants to taste test the cocoa. She leaves with Julian, and Chase says kids seem to chase Willow.

Anna asks Obrecht what she has on Peter. How did she get him to change his story? Jordan says Peter signed his new statement in front of the DA. Without his testimony they just have circumstantial evidence. She has no choice but to release her.

Nina ask Valentin what it is. He says he was given a new beginning. He wants that more than anything, but if they’re going to start with a clean slate, he has to be honest. He’s made mistakes. His phone rings. She says ignore it, but he says he can’t. It’s Obrecht. She tells him that Peter recanted his testimony, and she’s a free woman. She’ll keep her word, and no one will ever know he passed off a counterfeit as a long lost daughter. Merry Christmas, Heir Cassadine. Nina asks who that was. He just half-smiles.

On the terrace, Josslyn asks Michael why every happy moment makes you think about the people who aren’t there to share it. That’s a good question, but it’s probably because you notice they’re not there. He says, it goes with the territory. That’s why they have to hold on to happy moments. She says, like every moment she has with Oscar, and every moment he has with his godson. He looks though the window at Wiley.

The nanny comes. Avery says she had fun. Julian says he did too. He takes her outside. Chase checks his watch, and Willow wonders if he’s bored. He says she might be on vacation, but the PCPD doesn’t get a holiday. She says, duty calls, and he says, unfortunately. She tells him that she’s sticking around to do some Christmas shopping, and he says, in that case, he’s a medium. She says, don’t get your hopes up, and he says, too late.

Valentin tells Nina that was Santa Claus. She asks why he’s smiling, and he says, her. He was a clever fool; knowing what he wanted, and how to get it. Then she came along. He has her now, and he’s never letting her go. They kiss.

Maxie sees Obrecht, and asks if she escaped, and is hiding in plain sight. That’s not going to work. Obrecht tells her, everything is all right. All the charges are kaput. Maxie asks what happened, and Obrecht says, Peter revised his statement. He’s 100% sure that she didn’t kidnap and torture him.  He realized a deeper truth happened in the cabin. Someone must have appealed to his conscience. She’s grateful, because now, she has all the time in the world to get to know James.

Jordan has to confirm with the warden that she won’t be transferring Obrecht. Unless Peter is changing his statement again. Peter hands her the paper, and says, justice has been served. She says not from where she’s standing. Anna asks him to wait. Finn says he’ll make some calls. Anna asks why he did it. His entire life has been built on hatred. He was either trying to please his father, or running from his legacy. Coming that close to death taught him there’s another way to live, and his nephew has shown him innocence still exists. Maxie has shown him there’s room for forgiveness. He tried to be the man Nathan would have wanted him to be. She asks if his forgiveness is only for others, or is there a tiny bit left for her?

Sam comes home, and opens her laptop. She writes an email to Linda Black. Thanks, but no thanks. I don’t need any help.

Nina says she’ll never get to work. He says he’s never letting her go. She says, what a coincidence. She’s never going to leave.

Anna tells Peter she’s having a Christmas Eve party thing at her house, and he’s invited. If he wants to come. She jets, and he ponders.

Obrecht looks at pictures of James. She can’t wait to hold him again. She wishes that Nathan… Maxie says, life can be horribly unfair. James will never know his father, and Michael will never know his baby. His and Nelle’s baby was stillborn. Obrecht says, really? How dreadful.

Lucas thanks Sonny and Carly for hosting. It’s a day he’s never going to forget. Josslyn says she’s available for babysitting. Lucas thanks Michael for stepping up. Michael says, hopefully the day will never come, but God forbid Wiley is ever in his care, he promises to treat him like his own son.

Chase gets a call from the station. Julian looks at the picture of Lucas and Wiley on his phone. Willow sees it, and tears up. She and Chase leave. She looks back at Julian, who looks pained. Is she the birth mother whose child really died?

Tomorrow, Jordan wishes she had better news for Stella, Bobbie says they have a Santa-sized problem, and Mike is waiting for his best girl to show up.

🍲 On tonight’s Top Chef, the contestants were to create a traditional French Christmas dinner, where chef Eric Ripert was their guest. Baking is often not a chef’s forte, and they all seemed to get hung up when it came to dessert. Eric called their desserts offensive, and Tom summed up the episode rather neatly. They all messed up, they know they messed up, and they didn’t do anything about it.

🍷 Andy Cohen is having a two-part special on Watch What Happens Live. The first part of O Come OG Faithful aired tonight, and Part Two will air on Sunday at 11:30 pm. The fun included a trip down Memory Lane, iconic moments, catch phrases (bloop!), games, and plenty of shade. Teresa, Kyle, Ramona, Nene, and Vicki were the guests, while Vicki’s son Michael bartended. Bethenny was also listed in the TV Guide, but I have no clue what happened there. It was a good time, but I wish it could have been a little longer.

🎄 Since I have a lot of Christmas goings-on, I’m not sure what will be up with tomorrow. For sure, I’ll be bringing you Z Nation, if not tomorrow, on Saturday, but GH might be very encapsulated. It remains to be seen…

Why even say it today?

Sonny tells everyone that Mike and Yvonne are at club Gemini. Carly says they broke out to listen to jazz? Marcus says they didn’t both break out; it was Sonny’s father. Sonny says his father probably didn’t know where he was going. Sonny wants to pick them up, and assumes Marcus is coming, Marcus says he is. He wants to see that Yvonne is okay. Sonny says she’s not in any danger, and Marcus says, not anymore. Sonny asks Jason to take Carly home, and leaves with Marcus. Carly tells Jason, of all people to rescue Mike; it’s Sonny’s new best friend, the DA.

In the interrogation room, Cameron explains that he and Josslyn were at Charlie’s, trying to figure out what Oscar could eat. They looked online, and found out that weed helps sick people have an appetite, but Alexis knows how long it takes for an application to be approved. Alexis says, a long time, and not long enough for Oscar. Elizabeth says there are going to be serious ramifications. Cameron asks if he’s going to jail.

Nina leaves Sasha a message, hoping she got to Chappaqua okay, and telling Sasha that she misses her. Valentin brings in some wood, and Nina asks when he started bringing in his own firewood. He tells her that he’s going for the brawny everyman. She says he’s a lot of things, but not an everyman. He says he heard her leaving Sasha a message. Nina says it’s not like she’s not going to see Sasha again. Valentin says have dinner with him, and she asks if it’s an invitation or demand. He says, whatever works. She opens the terrace doors, looks outside, and tells him, yes. She just wanted to check for an impending storm to strand them. Valentin says, no storm. Just him, her, the fire, and food. Nina says, and wine? He says, and wine. She says she’ll stay.

Sam asks Kristina if she wants to talk. Kristina says, no, then tells Sam that she completely humiliated herself. She tried to kiss someone who’s clearly not into her that way. Sam says maybe it’s not as bad as she thinks, but Kristina says, it was, and the worst part was coming home to her. Sam is like, thanks, and Kristina says Sam has a guy who loves her. She loves him back, and for reasons no one understands, refuses to be with him.

The doorman tells Mike, no cover, no entry. Yvonne asks if they’re in trouble. Mike says, what for? They’re just trying have fun. Margaux approaches, and asks if he needs help. She tells him that he knows her; they go way back. Mike asks if she works for the club, and she says, no, but she has some pull. She tells the doorman, how about going inside and getting them a table? He goes in, and Mike tells Yvonne that he told her it would work out all right. Marcus and Sonny show up, and Marcus asks if Yvonne is okay. Mike asks who the hell he thinks he is, and Marcus says, her damn husband.

Yvonne asks what’s going on. Marcus says, everything is fine. It’s him; Marcus. She says she doesn’t know a Marcus, and doesn’t know him, and Mike tells him, back off. Yvonne asks when the trio is going on. Sonny suggests they skip the club tonight. Margaux wants to ask Mike a question, and Sonny says this is no time for that. She asks him to trust her, and asks Mike who the greatest jazz pianist is; the first five in ascending order. Is he up to the challenge? He says, Oscar Peterson, Herbie Hancock, Thelonious Monk, Bill Evans – Yvonne interrupts, saying she can’t believe he put Evans ahead of Monk. Mike switches them, and says, and the top one… And yes, I missed it, but he and Margaux said it together.

Jason asks Carly if she’s okay, and she says, no; she’s scared. He says, of Margaux? and she says, of where this is headed. If Sonny does this again, and gets with that woman, she won’t take him back. She won’t be able to.

Nina can’t believe it’s almost Christmas. Valentin says it sneaks up on you. She says it’s sparkly and magical, and the whole world glows. Valentin adds that everything smells good. She asks what he got Charlotte, and he says, what didn’t he get, but he thinks her favorite gift came from Nina. Nina says she didn’t get anything yet, but he says it was a doll she gave Charlotte when they first moved in. She told Charlotte, it’s easier to move with a friend. Valentin appreciated it, and Charlotte did too. Nina says it was the night of their first kiss. She’s not counting their one-night stand. He is. He’s glad it turned into so much more. She’s about to kiss him, and he says he’s tired, and she is too. Let’s call it a night.

Cameron tells Alexis that he texted Weed Guy to tell him the deal was off, but Weed Guy kept texting him, so Cameron went to meet him. Not to buy anything, but tell him in person the deal was off. Weed Guy said he couldn’t back out, and still owed the money, so he gave in. As he was handing it over, the cops showed up. Elizabeth asks why he didn’t just walk away. Alexis says she’s going to check on the charges, and see what they’re dealing with. Cameron swears he was trying to do something good. Elizabeth hugs him. She knows his intentions were good, but he not only broke the law, from a medical standpoint, it could have turned out badly. They don’t know how it would interact with Oscar’s condition or treatment. Introducing something new without approval could have been life threatening. Cameron asks if Oscar could have died, but Elizabeth is just saying they needed more information. That’s the reason fifteen-year-olds aren’t allowed to vote or buy alcohol. Cameron says, because they’re idiots, and Elizabeth says, they don’t think things through.t Actions have consequences. The next time he has an idea, come to them. Franco says they promise to try and understand. Elizabeth says they’ll help him. Cameron tells them that he’s sorry, and Elizabeth knows he is. Alexis comes back, and Cameron asks how much trouble he’s in. She says she’ll talk him through what happens next.

Sam asks Kristina how this got to be about her and Jason. Kristina tells her to explain one more time why she and Jason aren’t together. Sam says, for one, Drew. She’s not throwing the relationship in his face while he’s dealing with Oscar. Kristina makes a sound like the wrong answer on a game show, and says they’re all adults. Sam says Danny; it’s confusing. Kristina makes the wrong answer sound again, and Sam asks what that noise is; it’s annoying. She tells Kristina, not to mention their mom is already concerned and has enough to deal with. Kristina says she’s grasping at straws. What’s next? Too dangerous? Sam sys she never said that, and Kristina asks, then why is she afraid to be with him? She says she’s not. She just needs to be sure of herself, so can be with him and still be her, if that makes sense. Kristina says, it does. Sam asks what Kristina is doing with herself, and Kristina has no idea, but she’s open to suggestions.

Nina asks Valentin, what just happened? She was about to kiss him, and he freaked out. He says he didn’t freak, he just said she should be leaving. She asks, why? Valentin says she knows he loves her. He’s desperate to kiss her, and wants sleep with her every night, waking up to find her there. But she’s said time and again it’s not what she wants. He’s being a gentleman. She thanks him, but isn’t it her decision? He says she already made it. She says, maybe she hasn’t. Is it up to her? He says it will always be up to her. Every time he’s with her, he wishes for something real, but it doesn’t happen, and he deals with it. He doesn’t want to have her if means she wakes up with regret. Nina says she’s not going to do that. She thinks he’s learned his lesson and won’t hurt her again.

Marcus says Yvonne must be tired. Is she ready to head back? She says Mike will take her, and Mike says, after the session. Marcus tells Yvonne, he can’t tell her how worried he was. She asks, why? and he says because she’s not supposed to be here. She says he doesn’t know her. Sonny tells Margaux that he wouldn’t have guessed she’s into jazz; you learn something new every day. she says, if you’re lucky. What about him? He says he had to acquire a taste for it. He was dating a girl in the 90s. She says, it always comes back to a girl, and he says, usually. She thanks the doorman for playing along, and he says they seem like nice enough people. Mike calls Sonny over, and Yvonne asks if she did something wrong. Marcus says, not her. A cop is there, and he says this man kidnapped his wife. He wants Mike arrested.

Carly tells Jason that they both know what happens when Sonny gets soft. Jason says, he feels sorry for Margaux, but doesn’t have to be that. She says, what if it is? He’s always been attracted to weaker women, and what happens every time?  Jason says, they fail him, and he comes back. Carly says, what if it turns into something else, and Margaux fails him. Where is Sonny going to go? She won’t be there for him. She’ll be done.

Alexis tells Cameron that he’s being released in his mother’s custody. They’re preparing the paperwork. Franco thought weed was legal, but Alexis says, it’s decriminalized. He’ll have to appear before a judge, who will figure out his punishment. She tells Cameron, in the meantime, no matter how well-intended, don’t bend, break, or misuse the law. Cameron asks if this is good, and she says, it’s better than jail. On her way out, she says he’s a good friend. Elizabeth says, a good friend who messed up big time.

Sonny asks to talk to Marcus. He says Marcus doesn’t want to do this. Marcus says he didn’t want his wife taken without consent. Sonny says Mike’s not in his right mind. Does Marcus want him to suffer for having Alzheimer’s. Marcus says it’s not about his father; it’s about his wife. Mike’s illness isn’t as advanced. He can still do things like this. Yvonne just goes along. She doesn’t know what’s right, true, real, or an unsafe situation. It’s not okay, whether Mike knows what doing or not. Sonny isn’t disagreeing, but hauling Mike into jail isn’t the answer. Yvonne asks Marcus if they can go home; she’s tired. He hugs her. Margaux thinks that’s a good idea. She tells Sonny to take Mike home. She’ll talk to Marcus. Mike tells Sonny it’s too bad he and his friend couldn’t join them. They would have had a good time. Sonny pats Mike’s back, and says, come on, pop.

Carly tells Jason that if Sonny disrespects his marriage and family, they’ll have to live with the loss. Jason takes Carly’s hand and says she’s never failed him. They have each other, and if the worst happens, they’ll deal with it, but believe it’s not going to happen. She says, all the signs are there. Jason says Sonny killed Margaux’s dad, and feels guilty. That makes him vulnerable, but there’s a difference between vulnerable and doing something stupid; throwing away everything that matters. He’s not going to do that. She asks what she’s supposed to do. Jason says, watch and wait. He knows she can be patient, and he’s asking her to because this is killing Sonny. He’s losing Mike little by little. She asks who’s standing by his side, and he says, she is, but it’s the toughest thing Sonny ever had to deal with. He needs her to get him through it. Carly says, fine, but if he sees Sonny taking things with Margaux too far, he has to promise to tell her.

Back home, Mike tells Sonny that he’s disappointed for Yvonne. She was so excited. He was too. Sonny says he’ll help Mike figure out some way to make it up to her. He says Mike knows he’s not supposed to take her out of the facility. Mrs. Godfrey isn’t like him, and can’t leave. Mike says, Mrs. Godfrey? and Sonny says that’s her full name. Her husband was very anxious when he found out she was missing. Mike asks if he knew she was married, and Sonny says he did. Mike says, sorry, and Carly tells him not to be. She suggests he go upstairs, clean up, and rest. It’s been a long day.

Jason asks Sonny how Margaux found them. Sonny says they were going into a club, and she saw him arguing with the bouncer. He doesn’t know what would have happened if she hadn’t shown up.

At Turning Woods, Margaux asks Marcus if Yvonne is okay. He says, safe and sound. She asks Marcus to sit with her. She understands the day was terrifying, but pressing charges against a sick man won’t help. He’ll have to prove Yvonne left against her will, or worse, that she’s incapable of making her own choices. Does he thinks that’s good for her in her condition? He doesn’t know what to do, and she tells him maybe think what Yvonne would want. Mike’s only crime was in doing something nice for her. Does Marcus think Yvonne would want him punished for that?

Alexis goes to Sam’s place. She tells Sam and Kristina that she was just at the police station with Cameron. He came up with the idea to make pot brownies for Oscar, but unfortunately, got arrested. Sam says it was poor judgement, but his heart was in the right place. Alexis tells Kristina that Cameron said he and Josslyn came up with the idea at Charlie’s, where she works. Did she tell them Alexis had pot when she was under chemo, and give him the idea. Kristina says, unbelievable. She didn’t see them, and didn’t tell them anything, but that’s the first place Alexis’s mind went. Never mind they could have looked it up. She just assumed it was Kristina making a bad decision. Good to know some things never change. She stomps upstairs.

Cameron takes it he’s grounded for the foreseeable future. He asks if Elizabeth is disappointed, and she says she’s worried. A lifetime of never being in trouble, and now she’s had to pick him up at the police station twice in a month. She understands, but he needs to pull his weight; not just words, but actions. He says he’ll be better. She hopes so. Franco tells him that they’ll work it out. Elizabeth tells Cameron that he has to sign the papers. Franco tells Elizabeth that Cameron did good, and she says, he learned. Franco kisses her forehead, and Cameron watches.

Nina says she blames Valentin for things that can’t be his fault. She wants to keep him away because she loves him. She’s never denied that. She tells him that she just needs to talk, so shh. He’s made her happier than she’s ever been. When he’s hurt her, it wasn’t deliberate or intentional. You’d think she’d be happy to be without him, or it would bring less pain, but she still feels it, She has feelings for him. She starts to cry, saying, she can’t stop loving him, so she’s doing the hurting. She’s hurting herself, but keeping them apart makes her unhappy, as well as him and Charlotte. There’s no reason for it. She asks if he still loves her, and he says like he never loved anyone. She says she never asked him to be perfect, and thank God, he never asked her to be. It comes down to that she’s happier with him in her life than she is without him. She’s going to take a leap of faith. Valentin says she’s done that, and regretted it. Nina says she never regretted it – ever. She still doesn’t. Valentin asks if sure. She grabs his face, and kisses him.

Mike comes downstairs. Carly asks what he’s doing; he’s supposed to be resting. He says he tried. He can’t stop thinking about what happened, and feels awful. Sonny tells him, don’t do that, and Carly says he was just trying make Yvonne happy. Jason says they can’t fault him for that. Mike wants to figure out some way to say he’s sorry. Sonny says he’ll help him. Carly says they all will.

Nina and Valentin get busy, and there’s a song part.

Elizabeth asks if Cameron is ready to go, and they leave the station.

Sam tells Alexis, sorry; it’s rough on both of them. Alexis asks how she can love someone so much and be incapable of communication? Sam says Kristina loves her too. She’s just going through a lot of crap right now. This didn’t help, but for whatever reason Kristina is giving Alexis grief, pushing against her is Kristina’s biggest motivator. Alexis says, lucky her, and Sam says it’s just Kristina’s thing. Alexis says she has her things too. She asks Sam if she should go upstairs, but Sam says, no give. Give her some space. She thinks Alexis should go, and hopefully, Kristina will accept her apology. Alexis says she won’t hold her breath. She tells Sam she loves her, and to tell Kristina the same.

Kristina calls Daisy. She says she hopes Daisy meant it when she said Kristina was always welcome to stay. She wants to take Daisy up on it; she’s ready. Sam sees another message from Linda Black. It says, I want to help you.

Margaux calls Sonny and asks how his father is doing. Sonny says, he’s resting now. She says she got Marcus to back off Mike. Sonny says that’s a huge relief. He’ll let his dad know. She tells him that he’s saying that like he’s off the hook; he’s not. The trio was one night only, and won’t be back for a year. He says he’ll make sure she has a front row seat next time. She says, that’s more like it. He says he appreciates what she did for his dad. He owes her.

Tomorrow, Julian tells Brad to stop torturing himself, Maxie tells Peter that Nathan wouldn’t want his mother going to prison, and Nina tells Valentin that she knows everything.

🚤 On Real Housewives of New Jersey, the girls and their guys, sans Joe #1, who’s away, went to Bimini. Apparently, Marty’s kids aren’t crazy about Danielle, who thinks they need to give her respect, or get out of her space. As usual, a gorgeous island was wasted on a bunch of harridans, and there were spats, along with Danielle acting all Bridezilla. The Marge wondered if that was even allowed the third time around. Juicy Joe (#2) couldn’t deal with Teresa and Melissa anymore. Teresa felt like Melissa should have had her back when Jackie commented on her husband, otherwise known as Joe #1, Not-So Juicy Joe, or Jailed Joe. She also didn’t want Joe to have any regrets after their father is gone, since she lost a year (when she was away) of time with their mother. Joe #2 said family is everything, Teresa came to the conclusion they should stick together, and the three of them hugged it out.

🏡 Sweet Home is moving to Saturday at 9 pm, but won’t be on this weekend. This is a really cute show. A reboot of Sweet Home Oklahoma, it’s much the same show, with Jennifer Welch at the forefront, and Tubbers, Pumps, and ex-husband Josh – the only man allowed a man-bun – as her sidekicks. The focus is also on Jennifer’s interior design business. She’s good at what she does, but also puts an interesting spin on things. Last week, she was renovating a house, once owned by a locally famous late drag queen, for her parents. As a surprise for her mother, she got a group of drag queens, who’d known the previous owner, to begin the demo. A nice departure from screeching Wives, Sweet Home is a hybrid of an HGTV program coupled with family-style reality, and it’s a perfect blend.

General Hospital

Yep, I missed the first minute and a half. Sigh…

Weed Guy – who looks like one of the Orphans from The Warriors – asks where Cameron has been. Cameron says, right here for the last five minutes. Weed Guy asks, what about the last hour? He’s been texting. Cameron says he lost his phone.

Franco looks at Cameron’s phone. A text says, where are u? Elizabeth comes in and he tells her that he has news, but she’s not going to like it. She asks if he heard about Aiden. The kid who’s been bullying him apologized. Franco says, great. That means the whole thing is over, right?

Jordan and Margaux look at evidence. Margaux says they’ve been staring at it all day, and still nothing. Jordan says they can’t even figure out a motive. Revenge? Putting on a show? Is one murder camouflage for the other? Mary Pat seems to have no connection to Kiki, except for her terrorizing Carly, and Sonny being the father of Kiki’s half-sister. Margaux says, Sonny has nothing do with this. Jordan didn’t say he did, but she’s curious as to why Margaux is suddenly defending him.

Sonny tells the one guy who works at Turning Woods to have the staff search the building. He tells Carly someone has to have seen them. She tells him there are security cameras everywhere. Sonny says Mike knew they were going home, and Marcus says Sonny’s father knew what he was doing. His father took Yvonne to get her away from him. God help him if she comes to any harm.

Sonny gets it. Marcus is having a hard time, but he’s not the only one concerned. His family is hurting too. Marcus says a member of Sonny’s family is hurting one of his. He’s not sitting around waiting for bad news. He’s calling the police.

Lulu comes into the station, and gives Chase a container of Olivia-Q’s chicken Parmesan. They had leftovers, and she was running errands, so she thought she’d drop some by. In her experience, cops forget to eat when they’re working late. Besides, she could use a break. It’s been a long day with the kids, and it’s nice to talk to adults. She figured he could use a break too. He says she figured right. She asks if he’s identified any other suspects, now that Griff has been cleared. Chase says she’s using the chicken as a diversion. Lulu asks what he’s talking about, and he says she’s working him to get inside information, so she can break the story.

Franco says, Aiden and Charlotte are cousins, and asks Elizabeth why Charlotte would be picking on him. Elizabeth says Charlotte claims she was only trying help. Aiden didn’t want to drag it out, so she didn’t delve any further. Charlotte said the other kids think he’s different and weird. It breaks her heart. No wonder he doesn’t want to go to school.

At Charlie’s, Valerie snacks on bar nuts. Kristina asks if she wants some wine, but Valerie says it will go straight to her head. She’ll have some sparkling water. Kristina asks if Valerie wants her to dig around in the kitchen for canapes, but Valerie says it will ruin her appetite. She asks what the book is; she’s not into the self-help trend. Kristina says, that’s an over generalization. Like saying she doesn’t like romance movies. Valerie says she doesn’t, and Kristina says she’s just watching the wrong ones. Kristina will have to show her the right ones, and change her mind about the book. Her volunteer friends swear by it. Valerie says that explains where she’s been. Her new friends are taking up all her time. Kristina says it’s not like she’s been avoiding Valerie. She’s been busy. She says Molly mentioned that Valerie kicked ass at Jordan’s bachelorette party with the escape room. Since Valerie has an advantage, she should have been graded on a curve.

Sam tells Jason that she could forward the email to Spinelli, but he’s very protective, and she doesn’t want him to overreact. It’s sweet, but he’ll go full metal jacket on a search and destroy mission. Jason asks, what’s wrong with that? and Sam says they don’t know if the person is a threat. They also don’t know they’re not. The only way to find out is to open the email. Sam reads, everyone may have forgotten about your past, but I haven’t.

Margaux tells Joran that she’s not defending Sonny. She’s just saying he’s not the culprit. Jordan asks why she’s so sure. Margaux says, Avery is Kiki’s half-sister, and if Sonny wanted to eliminate Mary Pat, why would she have Carly’s hair in her hand? Jordan thinks they should look at it with fresh eyes in the morning. Margaux asks if she wants to join her, and check out a trio at the jazz club. Jordan says she could use an evening of jazz, but she has to finish up. If she’s done early, she’ll be there. Margaux says Jordan might have to save her from being hounded by random hipsters. She leaves, and Jordan’s phone rings. She asks, what kind of incident?

Marcus calls the police to report his wife missing, saying the staff is unable to locate her. Carly says she spoke to someone about the security footage, and thinks they’re somewhere on the property. Sonny says, there’s no need to involve the cops. He’s worried. Last time, it was lucky Dante found his dad. He doesn’t know how his dad will be if a strange cop stops him. It could go bad. He might feel protective, and it could escalate from there.

Lulu tells Chase that she’d never exploit a friendship to get information. He says her readers enjoy keeping up, but she says she’d never run the risk of disrespecting him for that. He’s glad her moral compass is still intact. She asks if he has any information. He says, off the record, and not for publication, he’s not going to be her PCPD mole, and wants no future attempts at bribery. He tries to give back the chicken, and she says, honestly, she just wanted to bring him dinner. He admits to being totally hungry, and says he can heat it up in the breakroom. He leaves a folder at the front desk, and asks Officer Murphy for a copy of the report. He goes to the breakroom, and Jordan tells Murphy that she needs assistance. He leaves with Jordan. Lulu wanders over and looks at the unopened folder.

Valerie says she’s just glad Kristina is finding her place. The last time they spoke, she was feeling lost. Valerie is proud of her. Kristina is proud of Valerie too. She was promoted to detective on the fast track, and she lucked out with her partner. Valerie says Kristina is worse than Bobbie, and Kristina says don’t tell her that she didn’t notice he’s gorgeous, Valerie says, nothing is going to happen. Not after what happened with her brother. She and Kristina have been friends for almost two years, and Valerie wonders why she’s never asked what happened between her and Dante. Kristina says it’s none of her business. She remembers Lulu being shady, but thought she should stay out of it. Valerie says when she was growing up, she never got a chance to go out and socialize; she was busy taking care of her mom. She doesn’t regret it, but it can be isolating. Kristina says she must have had some friend, and Valerie says, one girl, but things got weird. All of her memories are connected to her mom, and her entire world died. She felt lost, met Dante, and it just happened. He’s handsome, but it was more than that. He was a great guy offering her a safe space when her world was unraveling, and she went too far trying to hold on to the feeling. Kristina admits to being the queen of overdoing it. She gets it.

Kristina asks if Valerie remembers what she’d said about Curtis; it was fun, but they never connected on a deeper level. She asks if Valerie has dated since then, and Valerie says, no. Kristina suggests maybe she’s scared to put herself out there. She might meet someone and need them too much. Valerie thanks her for the depressing insight. Kristina says if her new friends have taught her anything, it’s that you’re in control of the vibe you put out in the world. She’s going to help Valerie get ahold of hers. They’re going out, and Kristina is going to be her wingwoman. Valerie says she can’t promise she won’t let Kristina make out with her to make someone jealous, but then says she’s kidding. Kristina says she knows.

Cameron asks Weed Guy how many times he has to explain it. The deal is off. Weed Guy says, wrong. The product is here. Cameron says he doesn’t want it. He was going to make pot brownies for a sick friend, but he’s doing all right. Weed Guy says Cameron is talking when he should be paying. Cameron reached out. He wanted the deal, and the deal is happening.

Sam tells Jason, it’s either blackmail or a con. Jason can see how that might work. Sam is established in her life and financially secure. They might think she’ll just pay to shut them up. Sam says if that hadn’t already blown up in her face, and everybody didn’t know everything, she’d be vulnerable. They’re counting on her to say what she needs, and offer it up as a price. Jason says, the only way to win is not to play.

Valerie tells Kristina, even if she was interested in Chase, which she’s not – Kristina says she protests too much. Valerie finishes that Chase has no interest in her. He didn’t just volunteer at Career Day at the school, but showed up in uniform, bringing a police dog. No one has ever done that. Kristina says, it sounds like there’s an attractive teacher. Valerie wishes Bobbie would understand. Valerie is feeling light-headed, and Kristina says, instead of a snack, would she try something else? Valerie asks, try what? and Kristina asks if Valerie trusts her. Valerie nods, and Kristina leads her to a chair, telling her it’s a meditation technique her friends taught her. You channel the mind’s energy to heal the body. Valerie doesn’t know if she’s into that kind of thing, and Kristina says Valerie claimed she trusted her.

Sam asks if Jason thinks she should ignore the email. He says, no; she’s not hiding anything. He asks if there’s any ex out there who might file charges, but she says, no. They were too embarrassed, and most are gone by now. Jason says if the family came after her, the statute of limitations has run out, so they can’t hurt her legally. Sam asks what if they can hurt her some other way? Jason says they have to stop them, but she says they need to know who they are.

Lulu saunters over to the desk, and glances at the folder. Chase comes back, and thanks her. She says they had enough leftovers for a football team. He says there’s enough for two, but she says she already ate. He tells her to stop pretending, and she sits with him.

Marcus says his wife suffers from Alzheimer’s, and Sonny’s father took advantage of her illness to lure her away. Sonny says his father has Alzheimer’s too. They just went off; there was no criminal intent, and no need for the cops. Marcus says his marriage might be at risk. Jordan arrives, and tells them to be civil. They’ll find them. She tells an officer to start interviewing the staff. Daisy comes in, saying she heard they were looking for Mike and Yvonne. She saw them fifteen minutes ago, getting on a bus.

Chase asks if Lulu has heard from Dante, and she says, no. He apologizes for being tactless, but she says he’s not. Dante is his partner, and she would have told him if she had anything to tell. Lulu trusts Dante with the situation. She knows it’s hard to make contact when you’re on assignment. Chase says she can talk to him, but she says she and Dante have stuff to work out – and they will. The undercover assignment came out of nowhere, and Dante would understand how to handle the trouble Charlotte got herself into.

Elizabeth tells Franco that Aiden always preferred hanging around the house to going out like the other kids. She wishes she knew why Charlotte thought he’s not fitting in, and what he’s doing to make himself a target. It wasn’t like this other years, then all of a sudden, this happens in third grade. Kids that age are sweet and cruel.

Weed Guy tells Cameron it’s from his supplier, especially for him. No refunds. Cameron tells him, sell it to someone else, which is what I’m saying in my head. Weed Guy says, he bought it. Stiop wasting time, and pay him. Cameron says, or what? and Weed Guy says, it goes back to the supplier, who will look for him, and mess him up. Or he can pay what he owes, and walk away a happy man. Cameron takes out the money. Is this weed laced with crack? I’m finding it hard to believe the supplier would go that crazy over such a small transaction.

Kristina tells Valerie, it’s about letting go of excess baggage, and casting out negative thoughts that are getting in the way. Think about what’s left. All the things bring her joy; make her feel safe, protected, and loved. Can she see them? Valerie nods. She stands up, and they look at each other. Kristina kisses her, and then Valerie leans in for another kiss.

Daisy tells them that she saw Mike and Yvonne get on a bus. Marcus asks why she didn’t stop them. Didn’t she think to call? Sonny tells Marcus to let her speak. Daisy says, she’s just a volunteer, and didn’t know their status. She knows Mike comes there during the day, and assumed he had permission to go on an outing. Jordan says she did nothing wrong. Did she see what bus? Daisy says, no. She saw them get on. They were already off the property. That’s why she thought it was okay. She hopes they’re all right. She’s sorry. Jordan tells her, don’t be. She helped a lot. Carly suggests they call Josslyn, and see if they’re at the house. Jordan wants a list of bus stops. Marcus wants to press charges against Mike.

Sam tells Jason that she wants know about the person’s possible agenda, and their situation. Then she can decide how to deal with it. Jason agrees. She should know who the people are, and who she’s dealing with. He tells her to remember she has a lot of resources and people to help her. She says she’s counting on it. Jason’s phone rings. He thinks it’s Sonny, but it’s Carly on Sonny’s phone. She says they’re at Turning Woods, and Mike took off with another client, Yvonne Godfrey, about fifteen minutes ago on a bus. The police already searching. Jason asks, who invited the cops? and Carly says, Yvonne’s husband.  He’s upset, and so is Sonny; it’s pretty tense. Jason says he’s on his way. He tells Sam, Mike took off with a lady from the care center, and her husband called the cops. Let him know what she decides to do with the email.

Kristina and Valerie are still kissing. Valerie suddenly pulls away, saying, no. She can’t. Sorry. Kristina says, it’s all right. Valerie says she’s not gay, and not everything is about what Kristina wants. She takes off. Kristina calls after her, but she’s gone. Kristina says, God, what did I do?

Valerie sees Cameron handing Weed Guy money, and Weed Guy handing Cameron weed. She says she’s from the PCPD. They need to both stay where they are. Hands above their heads.

Daisy comes into Charlie’s, apologizing for being late. There was drama at Turning Woods. She says Kristina is crying, and Kristina says if she was polite, she’d pretend not to notice. Daisy says it’s not that way with friends. They stay in the truth. She’d like to help if Kristina lets her. At least tell her what happened. Kristina says she’s an idiot. She read a situation wrong. She saw what she wanted to see, and ruined one of her best friendships.

Valerie walks into the station with Cameron and Weed Guy. Chase asks if she’s the one who called for backup. She says she was on her way to meeting her aunt, when she interrupted a suspicious transaction. Weed Guy wants his phone call. His dad is going to sue. Valerie says they found enough weed in his backpack for intent to distribute. Chase asks if this is the customer, and Cameron says he can explain, but Chase tells him, don’t say anything until his mom gets there. Lulu sees him, and asks, what happened? He says, it’s a long story.

Franco tells Elizabeth that he’s worried about Aiden too, but there’s a more immediate concern. Elizabeth says, about Aiden? and Franco says, about Cameron. Elizabeth’s phone rings. It’s Lulu, and she asks if everything is okay. Lulu tells her, there’s no easy way to say this. Come down to the PCPD. Cameron has been arrested for trying to buy pot.

Weed Guy says they have nothing on him. Valerie says, only all the pot in his backpack, and he was in the middle of a transaction. Weed Guy says his dad is going to bust her down to traffic cop. Chase tells her to go, and Weed Guy tells him, don’t. Unless he wants to be named in the suit. Chase says he’ll take the risk. Let him introduce Weed Guy to the holding cell.

Sonny asks why Marcus is pressing charges. Marcus says Mike kidnaped his wife. Carly says she went willingly, and Marcus says she’s not in her right mind. Sonny says, neither is his father. Jordan says, safety is her first priority. She’s calling in a silver alert. Jason arrives, and Carly says, Mike took off. Sonny tells him the staff is looking, and now the cops are involved. He needs his people searching. If Mike is confused, Sonny doesn’t know what he’ll do if a strange cop stops him. He could run. Her husband is pressing kidnapping charges, and they have to stop this before it gets any worse.

Elizabeth gets to the station. Cameron says, before she freaks out – and she says she’s past that point. She thanks Lulu for calling, and Lulu says she’ll give them space. Cameron says he can explain, and she says she’d like to hear it from Chase. Chase says he was caught buying pot. Cameron says, it’s legal in three states, and Elizabeth says, not in New York, not to minors at all, and not under her roof period. Cameron says he was buying it for a friend. At the front desk, Lulu opens the folder and takes a quick picture with her phone while Valerie is typing. Valerie ponders something.

Kristina tells Daisy about the kiss, saying she scared her away. Daisy says, her? and Kristina asks if she has a problem with that. Daisy says, it’s 2018. She’s just never heard Kristina talk about romance or relationships in the group sessions. So she’s into women. Kristina say she identifies as bi most of the time, but labels change every week, so she doesn’t know who she is. Daisy tells her not to feel forced to label herself. She’s sorry about what happened, and hopes Kristina knows they’d never not accept her. They want their family to be their truest selves. Kristina says she needed to hear that. She doesn’t know what she would have done without them.

Sam hangs stockings on the chimney with care. Her phone dings. She looks at it, and sends a message. Ok, Linda. You made your point. Now tell me what you want.

Jason asks Sonny where he thinks Mike might have taken Yvonne. Sonny says Yvonne doesn’t remember she’s married, and Mike thinks they’re dating. Carly wonders where Mike would take her on a date. Sonny’s phone rings, and Carly says, it’s Margaux. Sonny tells Margaux that he’s in the middle of something. She asks if he’s looking for his father. She just found him.

Tomorrow, Nina asks Valentin if it’s an invitation or a demand, Cameron asks Alexis if he’s going to jail, and Carly tells Jason if Sonny does this again, she won’t take him back.

Below Deck

The boat is readied for a new charter. Rhylee gives Tyler instructions. She loves being the boss. She’d like to get out a whip and chain, but isn’t sure what she’d do with Tyler. Kate would like to tell Laura that she’s clearly full of sh*t, and doesn’t know what she thinks she does, but Kate doesn’t have the time to like or dislike her. She tells Josiah at least they have each other; the normal ones.

Ashton wants a proper chat with Ross. Ross says it’s obvious he cares about Ashton. After the accident, he needed to just grab him, but also wanted to kick his ass. In his interview, Tyler says Rhylee is his boss, but he’d like to see what she’s like when she’s not at work. Maybe without clothes on. He’s excited about going out tonight. Rhylee tells him, don’t get too loose, and he says he doesn’t want to have a baby in Tahiti.

The crew gets ready to go out. In Ashton’s interview, he thinks there’s an incredible vibe. He dodged a bullet, and the new crew members are like fresh breath. They go to a restaurant on the water. Adrian is trying figure Laura out. He’s in an open relationship, and it’s fun to have someone to flirt with. She enjoys it, so he’ll see where it goes. At dinner, Laura never shuts up. In his interview, Josiah says Laura needs to settle down. Maybe she loves the sound of her own voice. Kate asks Tyler about himself. He says he was supposed to go college, but got into an accident. Ten of them went over a cliff. No one died, but it ruined his athletic career. In his interview, he says he had no broken bones, but was on crutches, picking rocks out of his skin. It opened his eyes about playing it safe, and he decided to live like every day is his last. He says he started with firefighting, then got into yachting.

Kate wonders if they should go out or go back to the boat. Laura says, go out! Kate says she just got there, and she wasn’t asking her. Ashton says, awkward moment. He just works here. Laura says she worked hard before she got there. Kate thinks it’s impossible that she was working the same situation. In her interview, Laura says it was uncalled for; Kate disrespecting her in front of the crew. Ashton and Tyler step away for a smoke. Tyler asks if Ashton fancies any of the ladies, and Ashton says he likes Laura, but he’s not forcing it. He wants something more intense than hooking up. Laura joins them, and Ashton tells Tyler to give them a moment. He leaves, and Laura says, she’s feeling sensitive. Tyler goes back to the table. Adrian says Ashton is like the Terminator. He’s back from the future to screw whatever women he can. It’s like a mission. Laura tells Ashton that she’s never been disrespected. Ever. Geez, really? Lucky her. She tells him it was a bit of a punch in the chest and a shame when people are like that. He hugs her, and says he’s got her.

Adrian suggests they migrate to the bar. While standing at the urinals in the bathroom, Ross tells Tyler to go for it. He’d be doing Ross a favor. Since the top of the wall between the bathrooms is open, Rhylee hears, and calls Ross a dumb-ass. Ross calls himself effing stupid. Rhylee starts telling the others what happened. Ross interrupts, and she tells him STFU; she’s speaking. She says Ross is the one who kissed her. He’s not making her a fool. She was doing him a favor. In Rhylee’s interview, she says she’s being painted in a negative light, and it’s belittling. She wanders off. The rest of the crew gets into the taxi. Laura says this is the least wild yacht crew she’s ever worked with.

Ty wonders where Rhylee is, and Ashton says she walked back. When the others get to the boat, Laura thinks Tyler went to see Rhylee. He did, and gets in bed with her. Laura says she knows Kate spoke horrible sh*t about her; she can feel it. Josiah tells Kate that Laura heard they don’t like her. Kate is tired of the victim card. In his interview, Josiah says, he knows Laura is new, but you don’t come on the boat bitching about the chief stew. Kate comes back out and says she heard Laura doesn’t like them. Laura says it’s the other way around. Kate tells her it’s not polite to disrespect the interior. She has no problem giving her opinions about Kate. Kate goes back to her cabin. Tyler and Rhylee make out. Ashton and Laura go to the hot tub.

Laura is fed up. She tells Ashton she was attacked for no reason. Why does she deserve them attacking her? Ross joins Kate and Josiah in their cabin for a drink. Kate says, after Caroline, she’s sensitive to crew members thinking because they work together, there’s an alliance. Laura thinks Kate feels threatened by her. Kate tells Josiah and Ross that it’s not possible Laura was chief stew on a vessel of this standard. She also dropped seven champagne glasses before the guests’ arrival. She says, accidents happen, but all of Laura’s negative comments since she arrived aren’t an accident. Kate doesn’t trust her. In Ross’s interview, he thinks Kate is being rude to Laura. Ashton tells Laura it’s not about her, it’s about Kate. She’s right to be upset, but she’s stronger and better than that; let it go. Laura asks what she’d do without him. In her interview, she says she thought Ashton was a bro jock, and a bit of a player, but he has wisdom, depth, and feels like a friend from home. She tells him that he’s refreshing and nice, and they kiss.

Dogs mate on the dock. What is with all these dock dogs?

Adrian says Laura is thrashed, and she says, call the alarm. She and Ashton go up on deck, and get in a sleeping bag.

It’s time to get up, and everyone gets it together. Adrian isn’t sure how to read Laura. She could be using him as a game to get to Ashton. Ashton goes back to his own cabin, and Ross tells him that he head giggling from Rhylee’s bunk. Rhylee feels happy, and tells Tyler that he’s a good cuddle buddy. He does what she does, but does it better. Ashton tells Ross that he and Laura made out a little. Laura tells Adrian that they didn’t hook up; she’s making that clear. He’s sure everybody has their stories.

Captain Lee asks Ashton how he’s doing. He says his ankle is feeling better. In his interview, Ashton says the scary thought of not being able continue is gone, so he’s happy. He asks Tyler what happened between him and Rhylee. Tyler says they didn’t even kiss; they just cuddled. Rhylee said he couldn’t even get in his bed. In the galley, Josiah realizes it wasn’t the best time to tell Kate that Laura thinks she hates her. He should have waited until they were sober. In Kate’s interview, she says Laura has been getting on her nerves since she arrived. She’s not sorry she got frustrated. Hey, new girl, she’s the chief stew, and she has a voice too.

Kate asks where Tyler slept. He says Rhylee will tell her everything; he doesn’t remember. Kate asks, did they fork? and he says he probably tried. She asks, were they snuggling? and he says, yeah. Kate thinks it’s great. In her interview, she says, crew hook-ups are good for crew morale. It puts a spring in their step. It’s infectious, like STDs. The captain lounges on deck for the first time ever. At least that I’ve seen. Laura does laundry. In Laura’s interview, she says, it’s like when you’re sleeping, and there’s a mosquito buzzing, but you can’t find it. It’s how she feels about Kate’s negativity; it’s there, but she can’t kill it. Kate has to learn she can’t treat people that way.

Time for the preference sheet meeting. All of the guests are co-primaries across the board. The first ones being Helen and her fiancé Richard. Kate thinks Richard might be at the top of the mafia hierarchy. Why? I’m not sure. It’s the first time the group is traveling together. Adrian says usually the primaries are the main guests, but this time, they all are, so it should be interesting. They also want a Polynesian inspired dinner party, with the crew performing Tahitian entertainment.

Laura asks Josiah what happened last night. Josiah heard her tell Ashton that they don’t like her, and he told Kate. It’s probably all his fault. Laura says she was misinterpreted. In Josiah’s interview, he says he wasn’t keen on Laura, but she seems like a lovely girl. He hopes he can squash the issue. He doesn’t want it turning into another Caroline situation. Laura says she doesn’t want chatter behind her back. Adrian tells the crew that dinner is ready. Ross tells Rhylee that she misunderstood. He wasn’t referring to what she thought he was when he said Tyler would be doing him a favor, and he’s sorry it was taken the wrong way. She apologizes for misunderstanding, and he says he’s super regretful right now.

When it’s time for bed, Tyler asks Rhylee to cuddle. We hear pretty heavy breathing for cuddling. Rhylee giggles. In her interview, she says, last night, she had a great time, but only got two hours sleep.

Everyone gets ready for the guests’ arrival. Adrian talks to his girlfriend on the phone. He misses her. In his interview, he says they don’t often speak on charter, but it’s nice to talk to her. She doesn’t expect anything from him, but when he talks to her, he’s happy. He misses every part of the relationship. Provisions come in. Kate says, charter seven; everyone gets it. Laura helps Ashton put on his ankle brace. Captain Lee says, twenty minutes; everybody in their whites. Champagne is opened. Kate gets the leis. Captain Lee says, incoming.

The guests are welcomed. Kate gives the tour, and the luggage is retrieved. Josiah says Richard looks like the Italian mafia 100%. Fuhgeddaboudit. The captain tells the deck crew, distances are going to be critical. Stern lines are clear, and they move out. The guests wave to neighboring boaters. Laura asks Adrian if they have coconuts, and suggests making a coconut bra. Josiah tells her and Adrian to stop flirting. Adrian says if he was flirting, Josiah would know it. As usual, the table is beautifully decorated, this time with seashells. Kate calls Rhylee to help with the plates. In Kate’s interview, she says, Laura knows how to do laundry, and it’s all she needs from her right now. Life is a lot easier when you don’t bitch about your boss. Kate tells Rhylee what to take to the table. Laura asks if she should follow, and Kate says, no. Laura makes a face. In her interview, Laura says that’s what she’s trained for. It’s the biggest slap in the face, and she’s over it.

The guests declare the scallops and prawns perfect. Ross asks Tyler if he’s ever done the anchor drop. In her interview, Rhylee says she hasn’t been on anchor, and Tyler is beneath her. Josiah asks Kate, if they became friends with Richard, does she thinks he’d tell them how many people he killed? Ashton helps drop anchor. Captain Lee is impressed. Ashton is stepping up to the plate after a near-death experience. It’s the kind of initiative he likes to see. One of the guests asks Ashton if they can take a ride in the tender, and he says he’ll set it up. Kate asks Laura to meet her in the sky lounge. She tells Laura that she’ll be going with Ashton. Kate packs the bag with drinks, the guests board the tender, and away they go

Tyler says it’s not important for him to keep play and work separate, but he’s good at it. When he’s working, he does his job. When he’s not working, he thinks about having sex with Rhylee. Kate sees a striptease game in Helen and Richard’s cabin. She and Josiah look in the closet. Everything is black, and Kate wonders how many funerals she thinks she’s going to. In her interview, she says, black is chic, but it’s also 106 degrees in Tahiti. It hides the blood stains. On the tender, Laura waits on the guests. In her interview, Laura says if Kate thinks this is punishment, she’ll take it. Fresh air, a beautiful Tahitian island, and Ashton. I dunno. The crew is usually looking to get off the boat on an excursion, so I don’t know why she’d think that was punishment. Maybe she is stupid.

It’s starting to get dark when guests come back. Kate tells Adrian, dinner is confirmed for 8:30. Captain Lee asks Ross how it’s going, and how the new kid is doing. Ross says, great, and the captain asks if Rhylee is doing all right. Ross says he’s never seen her this happy. Captain Lee would like to keep that up through the end of the charter. In Ashton’s interview, he says he’s playing it easy with Laura. He’s getting to know her, and thinks the garden is growing at the moment. Is that a euphemism for something?

Ashton helps Adrian clean mussels. Adrian asks Ashton, what’s going on with Laura? Ashton needs to figure out the vibe. He says there’s more to her than people think. In his interview, Adrian says Laura didn’t seem that into Ashton, and he thinks Ashton took it as a challenge. One more point on his scoreboard. Adrian feels sorry for her. The centerpiece is a gorgeous Tahitian floral arrangement, and the guests are impressed. Kate presents mussels stuffed with crab, and Helen says the chef is top notch. Kate fixes the turndowns that Laura just did, and asks her to come to the master suite. She tells Laura that maybe she’s confused about turndowns. She leads Laura to another cabin, and asks, what’s the deal with the bathroom? Laura says it wasn’t like this, and Kate says the master is the same way. Laura can’t understand why Kate is so aggressive. Kate says she’s not; she’s in a rush. Laura says, that’s cool, but she has to relax. Kate says she’s not relaxed because Laura isn’t doing the job she said she could do. Laura tells Kate that she needs to settle down. Kate tells her, just do turndowns. In Laura’s interview, she says the difference between hers and Kate’s styles is that she’d never make a stew feel like sh*t. She’s lived and worked all over the world, and never experienced this before. It’s unprofessional.

Kate tells Ross that Laura didn’t like her asking for the turndowns to be redone. She’d like to know how Laura would ask, and Adrian jokes that it was brutal. In her interview, Kate says she’s in the Twilight Zone. Laura is criticizing Kate’s job, when she can’t do her own. Helen says the dinner is like eating a painting. Everyone eats in silence because it’s so good.

Laura asks Kate for a word. Kate says she’s in the middle of dinner service, but Laura wants Kate to hear what she has to say. Kate says, fine, but not near where the guests are having dinner. Kate leads her downstairs, shushing her, and telling her that her voice carries. Seriously. I’m not believing Laura was a chief stew either. I can’t imagine anyone who was ever in that position would get loud with a superior in front of guests.

Laura tells Kate, this is insane, dude. Another red flag. Doubtful she’d be calling her superior dude if she had ever been in that position. She tells Kate to figure her sh*t out. There were hundreds of other ways Kate could have approached her. She had no right to go through the cabins. Laura says, you need to check yourself. Understood? Wow.

Next time, guest Helen has a crush on Adrian, Captain Lee talks to Laura, Kate says she’ll quit if Laura isn’t fired, and Laura won’t be a tally on Ashton’s checklist. I don’t blame Kate. Kate can definitely be a bitchy mean girl, but she knows her job, and no way should any of the crew members talk to her like that. We were both left with our mouths hanging open.

🎅 Just To Be Annoying…

It’s not like it’s on a different date every year. And how did it happen that Thanksgiving was even early this year, yet we’re still rushing around? Is this some kind of Christmas denial that no matter how much time there is, the last minute is suddenly here? And what about the floor show? In an empty house? In the middle of the night? Oh, wait, that’s from Rocky Horror.

General Hospital

I missed the first minute or so. I swear, I could get up at the crack of dawn, and I’d still be running late.

Cameron asks Oscar how he’s feeling. Oscar says, not great but also not horrific. Cameron ask if there’s anything he can do, but Oscar says there’s not much anyone can do until they know how the trial is going. Cameron gets a text: Meet me in Charlie’s parking lot. Bring $$.

Franco brings the brownies to the hospital. He sees Josslyn and asks if he wants one. She asks what inspired him to bake them, and he says Cameron baked them; for the bake sale at school. She asks, what bake sale?

Sonny tells Carly they should take his dad home before he gets fuzzier. Carly says he’s a little preoccupied; give them minute. Marcus walks in as Mike kisses Yvonne. Marcus asks what Mike thinks he’s doing, and gets in Mike’s face. Sonny steps between them. He knows Marcus is upset, but asks him to back off. Mike says he can take care of himself. A staff member comes in, and asks if there’s a problem, but Sonny says it’s just a misunderstanding. They can take care of it. Marcus says this is totally unacceptable. Carly understands, and promises they’ll figure it out. Yvonne says Mike is her boyfriend; they’re going steady. She says he gave her this, and shows them her hospital bracelet. Marcus takes her aside.

Lulu tells Charlotte to go look at the tree, and Charlotte figures that means they want to talk about her. Elizabeth is shocked that Charlotte is the one who’s been bullying Aiden. Laura says she figured it out after she talked to Aiden, then talked to Lulu. Lulu says she and Valentin told Charlotte under no uncertain term I was unacceptable, and just plain wrong. Charlotte is very sorry, and wants Aiden to know that. Elizabeth is having a hard time processing. Why would Charlotte be so mean to him? Lulu isn’t sure. Charlotte said he’s different and sensitive, and that she was trying to help him. Elizabeth asks how? Why does she thinks he needs to fit in? Lulu isn’t sure, and Laura says now that it’s out in the open, maybe he’ll tell them more.

Jason tells Danny, maybe his mom can explain. She knows better about Santa. Danny asks if this is like Halloween, where Jason didn’t remember stuff because of his accident. Sam tells Danny that sometimes Santa and his elves need extra help. That’s how every kid in the world gets presents. Danny says, so he’s like an elf? and she says, he’s Santa’s helper – and Santa notices.

Franco tells Josslyn, it’s the drama club bake sale. Josslyn says she hasn’t heard about it. Why would Cameron be baking something? He’s not in the drama club. It would conflict with his soccer practice. Maybe he’s trying to be nice. Franco says, so she knows nothing about the bake sale or Cameron being affiliated with the drama club? Josslyn says she’s been out of touch. She’s been with Oscar, and been busy with school, so she doesn’t know either.

Sam suggests a visit to Santa. Danny asks if she means just her and him, or all three of them. Jason tells Sam if he wants him there, he’ll go, and Sam says they’ll talk later. Danny asks if dad is coming home with them. Sam looks at Jason, and says, yes? Jason says, yes, and Danny says, it’s the best day ever. He wishes they could always be like this.

Marcus tells Yvonne that all residents wear a bracelet; for safety reasons. The two of them wear wedding bands for the love they share. They live together. Mike asks Sonny if it’s true Yvonne is married. She doesn’t know this man. Sonny knows it’s hard, and Mike says he doesn’t know a damn thing.

Marcus tells Sonny that his father was kissing his wife. Sonny says his father didn’t know; his memory is diminishing. Marcus insists Mike is manipulating Yvonne, and has no respect or regard for their marriage. He wants her for himself, plain and simple.

Back at Sam’s place, Jason tells Sam that she has to tell him what Scout and Danny want. She says he doesn’t have to buy all of the kids gifts. Her phone dings, and Jason asks if she’s waiting for something important. She looks at her phone, and he says, not it? She says, no, and he asks if she wants to talk about it. She says, what? and he says, what’s bothering her. She seems flustered. It must be important.

Elizabeth tells Aiden that Charlotte has something important to say to him. Aiden wants to go back to his room, but she says it’s important he hear Charlotte out. Charlotte says she’s sorry she hurt his feelings. She didn’t mean to. She thought he would get along better if she told him what to do. She was kidding sometimes, but she guesses he didn’t think it was funny. There’s no excuse, and she was wrong. Lulu asks if he accepts her apology.

On the phone, Franco says he’s calling on behalf of Cameron’s mother, and wonders if he could speak to someone in the drama department.

Cameron texts: Told u deal’s off. He tells Oscar it’s nothing important. Oscar wasn’t paying attention anyway, and apologizes if he nods off in the middle of a sentence; the treatment makes him tired. Cameron says he’s forgiven. Josslyn comes back, and Oscar asks why she didn’t tell him that he snores. She says, he doesn’t – much. Josslyn asks Cameron if he joined drama club. Oscar laughs, and Cameron says he can be dramatic. Josslyn tells Cameron that Franco said he’d baked brownies for a drama club bake sale. Cameron asks where Franco is, and Josslyn says, outside, with the brownies. She grabbed one for Oscar. She hopes he doesn’t mind.

Sam tells Jason, the fact that he picked up on it, is an indication that she’s more worried than she’d like to admit. She asks if he remembers a con she used to run. She would marry older guys, using an alias, wipe out their accounts, and disappear. He says, yeah, and she says, someone who knows tracked her down.

Josslyn says the brownies must be delicious. It’s the most she’s seen Oscar eat. Oscar wishes he felt hungry, and Josslyn asks what the secret is. Cameron says he used a family recipe – enjoy. He’s got to find Franco, and tell him that he’s confused about a couple of things. He leaves.

Out by the nurses’ station, Franco tells Cameron that he ran out so quick, he forgot these, showing him the plate of brownies. Cameron says Oscar ate a couple of nibbles, so that’s good. Franco says he’s confused. Laura was under the impression that Cameron made them for a drama club bake sale. Cameron says that’s what he told her that he was doing. He gets a text: Don’t care if u don’t want merch <weed emoji>. Still want $. Waiting for u.

Carly tells Marcus, no one is in control, least of all Mike and Yvonne; they both have Alzheimer’s. It’s painful and horrible, but they can make it more bearable by showing each other compassion. Marcus says the only compassion he has is for his wife. He leads Yvonne away. Sonny tells Mike that he has to talk to him about something. Yvonne asks Marcus if she did something wrong. There was mistletoe. Is she going to get kicked out for kissing? She starts to cry, but he tells her that she’ not in trouble. He just wanted show her something. It’s their wedding picture. She’s his wife, and has been for thirty years. Sonny tells Mike, the thing is, that’s Yvonne’s husband. Mike tells Sonny, she didn’t say she was marred. Carly says she doesn’t think Yvonne remembers. Mike says he didn’t know, and Sonny says maybe he wanted to forget. Mike asks if Sonny thinks he forgot on purpose to make time with Yvonne? Is that how little Sonny thinks of him?

Jason looks at Leland’s obituary. Sam says Curtis is investigating some interesting stuff. There’s nothing definitive, but the email address attached to the paper is under the name of one of her own aliases, Linda Black. Jason says someone is messing with her; did she reach out? She says she emailed, but hasn’t heard back. Jason asks if that’s why she keeps checking her phone. Sam hates to look back on that part of her life. Jason says she’s not that person anymore. She’s learned from it and moved on. Whoever is behind it, they’ll deal with them. If somebody is trying to shake her down or hurt her, they’ll stop them. Sam tells him, easy. She doesn’t know if they have an agenda. She’s not afraid; she’s more annoyed. Jason asks how long it’s been since she reached out, and she says, yesterday. It’s already taken too much of her time. She’s not attaching her phone to her hip. Jason says they’re making her wait on purpose to get in her head. Sam says she’s not playing their games because she can’t be controlled, especially when she has important business to conduct. Jason asks, what would that be? and they gaze at one another.

Marcus shows Yvonne pictures, and asks if she knows the people. She says, they’re his friends? He says, their friends. They were so young; maybe that’s why she doesn’t recognize them. He tells her to look closely, and asks if she recognizes the guy next to her. She says, it’s him. How could she not? Her big brother. He puts his arm around her.

Sonny tells Mike that he’s not trying to make him feel bad; he wants what’s best. Carly says they believe him. Mike says they think he pretends to forget. Sonny says he’s done it before. In September, when the DA and the commissioner was breathing down Sonny’s back. Mike says he doesn’t know what Sonny is talking about. Carly tells Mike that she thinks Sonny doesn’t want anyone feeling hurt any more than they already are. Yvonne doesn’t remember she’s married. It has to be hard on Marcus, and tough on Yvonne. Maybe Mike could remind her that she’s married if she forgets. She knows Yvonne cares for Mike. Mike says he can’t remember anything for her, or even himself. Trying to hold on to facts, is like trying hold on to snowflakes. Yvonne wants Mike to take her back to her room. Marcus follows.

Lulu asks Charlotte what else she has to say. Charlotte says she won’t tease Aiden. She promises. She’s done trying to change him. He says, okay, and she asks if that’s all he can say. She just apologized, but he didn’t say he forgave her. Lulu asks, how about it? Charlotte sincerely apologized. Aiden accepts Charlotte’s apology, and she thanks him. He ask if he can go, and when Elizabeth says he can, he jets.   Charlotte asks Lulu if she and her papa are proud of her now. Lulu says she’s proud, and knows Charlotte’s papa would be too. Laura says it’s big of her, and it’s appreciated so much. It’s important to take responsibility for our actions. Elizabeth agrees, and thanks her. Charlotte is glad she made Aiden feel better.

Oscar asks Josslyn about volleyball practice. She says he must be tired of her hovering all the time. Just ignore her. She’s not trying to smother him, but it’s hard; she loves him so much. She promises to do better. Oscar doesn’t mind, but he hates her worrying so much. She gets it. She gets annoyed when people are worried. She asks if he remembers when her mom was in Ferncliff, and he was worried? Now she sees it from the other end.

Cameron tells Franco that he did bake them for the drama club. Not because he’s in it. There’s a really cute girl, kind of artsy – in a good way – who told him about the bake sale. He thought he’d help out. Franco says he brought them to the school, and he knows there’s no bake sale. Cameron says, that’s the problem. The artsy girl is kind of weird, and wasn’t clear. They were just thinking about having a bake sale, so he baked them for nothing. At least Oscar got a bite. Franco asks Cameron if he’s nervous. Cameron says he has somewhere to be, and jets. Franco sees that Cameron forgot his phone, and calls after him, but Cameron is gone. Franco struggles with himself, then looks at it. He sees texts, and says, oh, dude.

Oscar says they’re good brownies. Is she sure she doesn’t want some. He can’t believe Cameron baked them for him. Josslyn says Cameron is deeper than people give credit for, especially Cameron himself. I’m just going to say it. Either there is no weed in the brownies, Cameron didn’t know how to bake them right, or no one realizes they’re high.

Aiden asks Elizabeth if Charlotte is gone. She asks if he wants to talk about anything, but he says, no thanks. She asks if it’s okay if she talks; it’s kind of important to her. He says, okay. She says she wants make sure he knows that he doesn’t have to be embarrassed. If someone is making him feel bad, he has Franco and his brothers to talk to. She loves him, and wants take care of him. He says he can take care of himself, and she says she knows that, but they have his back too. He’s the most wonderful boy with the biggest heart. Never let anyone tell him different. They cuddle, and she tells him that she loves him. She says it’s over now, and everything’s going to be okay. Aiden says, yeah, but doesn’t seem convincing. He runs upstairs.

Carly tells Marcus that they’re sorry about what happened earlier. Sonny asks where his father is, and Marcus says, in the screening room. He wasn’t about to put his wife in jeopardy, sitting in a dark room with Mike. Sonny says Marcus has to believe Mike didn’t know. Carly says maybe they should talk to Stella. With her insight, she’ll know what to do. Marcus hopes she has answers. He’ll be around more, so they’ll both remember who he is. Sonny knows he’s upset, but it’s a helluva thing. Marcus leaves, and Carly thinks they should take Mike home to watch the movie. They have the DVD, and they could all use some Christmas spirit.

Sam tells Jason, in the interest of teaching Danny the spirit of giving, she has something special. She goes upstairs, and Jason looks at the tree. He flashes back to when we were all a lot younger, and he and Sam brought home a Christmas tree. He tells her that she’s the only one who could go to the tree lot, determined get the biggest tree in the world, and get this. She says she felt sorry for it. It needs love, just like her. Sam comes back down, showing Jason a stocking with DADDY in glitter on the fur. Jason says it’s amazing. He wants to thank Danny, but she says, that’s the catch. Jason isn’t supposed to know it’s from him. She’s trying to teach him true generosity doesn’t expect anything in return. He tells her, the daddy part is a dead giveaway. She loves seeing Jason happy. Last Christmas, everything was muddled. Now, the kids are comfortable, and here he is. She was wondering if he could take a small part of his day and spend part of Christmas wit them. He says, of course. She tells him that he never says what he wants, and it’s impossible to figure out; Jason says he’ll prove it’s not impossible. What he wants for Christmas is just to spend the day with her.

Lulu and Charlotte go for ice cream. Lulu asks if Charlotte feels better, now that she apologized. Charlotte is glad she could be nice. Lulu is sure Aiden is happy that he won’t be bullied anymore, and Charlotte says, not by her, but there are other kids who think he’s weird too.

Aiden plays a video game. At the end, it says, you’re a loser Aiden. He closes the laptop.

Back at home, Franco looks at the phone. Elizabeth comes in. He says he needs to tell her something, but she’s not going to like it.

Cameron waits outside Charlie’s. He realizes his phone is gone.

Josslyn knows Cameron wants to help Oscar. Oscar thinks Cameron wants him well so he can kick his butt. Josslyn says the one time, Oscar beat Cameron up. Oscar says he was too embarrassed to admit it, but when Cameron said it was a sucker punch, he was right. Josslyn says it was stupid, and Oscar says it wasn’t. They were fighting over her. She says, exactly. It’s not up to them who she chooses. It’s up to her, and she chose him. She kisses him.

Carly tells the desk that Mike was supposed to be in the screening room. Sonny says he’s not there. The guy at the desk (the same guy who asked if everything was okay – apparently, they’re understaffed) says they’ll track him down. Marcus comes in, and says Yvonne isn’t in her room, but her bracelet was.

Sam says, Jason’s Christmas wish is to spend the day with her? He says, that’s it, and she says she doesn’t know how to fit it in the stocking. She says he might be more specific, and Jason says it’s up to her. They don’t have to do anything special. They can do whatever she wants for the kids. They don’t have to do anything extra for him. Just being with her, making breakfast, going for a walk, putting the toys together; whatever, as long as he’s with her. It’s the perfect present. Sam thinks that can be arranged. They get thisclose to kissing, and we’re out.

Tomorrow, Franco tells Elizabeth he has news she’s not going to like, Jordan asks Margaux if she’s defending Sonny, and Sam hears from “Linda Black.”

Vanderpump Rules

James says he’s a star. Katie tells him to pull up his pants. He says she shouldn’t be wearing those shorts; they’re not very flattering. As he walks away, he says, lose some effing weight. Kristen says she’s sober, but ready for a drink. Raquel tells Scheana that she doesn’t know what to believe. Hope isn’t a reliable source. Scheana doesn’t know what to believe either. In her interview, she says Hope isn’t to be trusted, but James cheats all the time. Raquel thinks he broke Hope’s heart, so now Hope is coming for her. In Scheana’s interview, she thinks Hope is exaggerating, but she’s not saying she’s lying. She adores Raquel. She’s new, and Scheana feels the need to be big sis. She tells Raquel that she doesn’t know what’s true.

Lisa walks down the street, hoping things are going as well at the other end. She gets to SUR, and asks Jax why the line is so long. He says they want to see her. Raquel talks to Hope. In her interview, Raquel doesn’t know what to do. If she believes James, she has to stand up for her boyfriend, but if she believes Hope, she has to break up with him. She asks Hope what went down at Coachella, and Hope says that was a minimal part of the big picture. James would tell her that he and Raquel weren’t really together. They had a falling out in November, and Hope thinks it was because he was afraid Raquel would find out. She’s been sleeping with him for years. She thinks Raquel is a beautiful person with a good heart. James is a horrible person, and Raquel isn’t. Raquel wants more proof. Because she is also a clueless person.

Stassi orders drinks from Jax. He asks what’s going on, and she tells him what James said. She says he’s said ridiculous sh*t to all of them. James blows in, demanding a lemon drop and a Pumptini. Stassi tells him to get out, and Billie carts him off, as he makes a suggestion about a dildo to Stassi. Stassi says she wishes. In her interview, Stassi says, if you took a bad James Bond villain, made him all sweaty and drunk on Fireball, and he was played by an emaciated Muppet, he would be less annoying than James Kennedy.

Lisa sees James, and tells him, don’t be drinking. He wants to know where Raquel is. In Lisa’s interview, she says he seems agitated and frenetic. Sometimes it’s best to let things be. If she talks to him right now, they’ll end up in a bloody row. She tells Raquel that James is on the edge. Raquel asks if he’s been drinking. Lisa says he has, and tells her to make sure he doesn’t have another sip. She’s sorry for the pressure, but she doesn’t want to deal with him.

Raquel tells James that Hope claimed she slept with him multiple times. He says, lies. Next. Raquel asks if he would tell her, and he says, tell that whore to go screw herself. Raquel says he’s getting way angry. In her interview, Raquel says she’s sick of girls walking in with accusations, saying they slept with her boyfriend. My advice is, get a new boyfriend, but she says the bottom line is, she wants to stay with James.

Lying on the couch, Schwartz asks Katie why they do it to themselves. Those half shots add up. Why do half shots when you do double the amount? Katie runs a blender, and he’s like, please, my head. She does it again, and he says he can’t take all that healthiness. Katie says Pride was intense. Schwartz says he loved Pride. She says it was fun until James got drunk, and tells him what James said. She says James looked at her body in disgust, and Schwartz says James has anger management issues. He went off on everyone. Katie says, she’s not okay with it. It can’t keep happening. In her interview, she says she’s not going to feel bad just because James feels rage, and has the gumption (yes, she used that word) to say gross words. We flash back for the second time. Schwartz says he’d give her a hug, but he can’t move. She comes over to him. He gets up, and he’s wearing a housedress. He says, it’s a mumu day, and he’s sorry James is an effing a-hole.

James puts together piece of furniture. Raquel says Pride was hectic. James says it was so much fun, then it was like he got hit by a bus. He thinks it’s bullsh*t the way they come for him. Raquel thinks it’s more like they came for her. In his interview, James claims he hasn’t had sex with Hope since he’s been with Raquel. Raquel says she’d want to know if he cheated. James’s phone rings. It’s Peter, who has to disinvite James to his birthday party. The way he was acting in the parking lot isn’t conducive to tonight. In James’s interview, he says it feels horrible. He guesses too much booze led to consequences. He tells Peter, happy birthday, and hopes he has a great night. Raquel says, actions have consequences. Remember that. He says it snuck up on him; Tom’s drinks don’t taste like alcohol. The next thing he knew, he was wasted. Raquel says she doesn’t love the guy he becomes when the drinking gets out of hand. She doesn’t want him to get fired, and Lisa wasn’t happy when she saw him. In her interview, Raquel says she wants him to stop drinking completely. Good luck with that.

Harrison! Lisa goes into SUR before hours, and Peter says Pride was a success. Teddi Mellencamp joins her, and Lisa introduces Teddi to Peter. Teddi says she hasn’t seen Lisa since… Lisa says it’s easier if she doesn’t talk about it. In her interview, Lisa says, normally, she knows how to cope, but since her brother passed away she doesn’t know how handle daily life. At first, she was a mess, and didn’t want to go out Teddi asks if Lisa remembers meeting her brother. He wants to officially move to L.A., and she was wondering if he could get an interview. He needs to make money, but also needs to meet people. Lisa asks Peter if they don’t need barbacks or bussers, and Peter says they can always use an extra hand. In a few years, her brother could be like him. He leaves, and Lisa says she’s sure if he’s related to Teddi, she’ll like him. She tells Teddi that she misses her brother. Teddi is sorry, and Lisa asks how many siblings Teddi has; it was just her and her brother. Teddi says there are five. She tells Lisa that she’s a good person; a kind person. Her brother knew how much he was loved, and it had nothing to do with her. In Lisa’s interview, she says she took a few weeks, but maybe it wasn’t long enough. Unexpected feelings surface, and she has to deal with it and keep going. She doesn’t really want to talk about it. I totally get the unexpected feelings. Grief can strike at odd moments. She tells Teddi that she’s happy to meet her brother and give him an interview.

Time for the birthday party. Scheana walks in with Adam. In her interview, Britanny says it’s surprising, after Scheana tried to hook her and Adam. Although she thought Scheana liked him, so not that surprising. Tom’s dad, Tony, joins the crowd. In Jax’s interview, he says that he loves hanging out with Tony. He never looks at him like Tom’s dad. He’s like one of the guys, and doesn’t look like a dad. The guys wonder who taught who to pose, and Tony mimics Tom’s squinting into the sun. He says he brought five pairs of shoes, and Tom is giving him sh*t for it. Kristen brings in a bunch of balloons. Peter arrives. Schwartz tries to inhale helium, and the balloon breaks, popping in his face.

Brittany asks for Scheana’s input about James. Scheana thinks Hope and James hooked up, but she’s not sure if Hope is telling the truth. She goes back and forth so much, Stassi wants her to clarify. Scheana says she’s always wanted to act like everything is okay when it’s not, but she’s not doing that anymore. In her interview, Stassi says she just flip-flopped on flip-flopping. Stassi tells Scheana that she wants to make sure everyone is happy with her, but it bites her in the ass. It makes everyone bitter because Scheana has no loyalty to anyone.

Peter tells Jax that he has good news. Lisa wants to put him back on the schedule. Peter jokes that Jax needs to pay off the ring. Jax says he needs more than that, but it will be a start. He hopes he remembers how to make a Pumptini. Ariana tells Stassi their party has to be ten times better. In her interview, Stassi says she always liked Ariana. Ariana is the one who didn’t like her. We flash back to Ariana being an insensitive a-hole and totally rude to Stassi for no reason. Stassi tells us that it was pretty easy to be friends. She just went to all the same parties and events, and followed Ariana everywhere. Either she was forced to take out a restraining order, or give in. It’s like stalking 101. In Ariana’s interview, she says she gave up wasting the energy it took to not be Stassi’s friend. They pinky swear, and hug. Scheana is worried she’s going to be on the outs. Ariana is one of her best friends, but she doesn’t know where she stands.

Tom makes drinks. Katie wants to have a girls’ night, without Scheana. Ariana thinks Scheana will be disappointed to not be included, but Katie says they don’t hang out with her. Katie is on a positive road with herself, and doesn’t want to be backsliding. Ariana says she doesn’t see Scheana as much as she used to. In her interview, Ariana says if Scheana isn’t invited, it’s up to her to work it out with them. She’s a big girl. Stassi says they’ve tried it all to be friends with Scheana. It’s on her.

Brittany and Jax go to a cheese shop. Brittany explains that she wants to make beer cheese. It’s a concoction from Kentucky, and she’s bringing it to L.A. It’s her mamaw’s recipe, and she grew up on it. It’s normally made with cheddar, but she wants to mess around with it. She’s going to make some test batches. The cheese concierge, or whatever he is, brings over a plate of different cheeses for them to try.

Jax tells Brittany that he likes it at SUR, and he’s glad to have his job back. Plus, he’ll be working with her. She tells him about the girls’ night, saying they’re going for Hollywood glamour. He says he’s going to be hanging with the guys. She feels sad for Raquel, and Jax says she looks dumb. Brittany isn’t comparing James and Raquel to them, because Jax told her truth, and James will never admit it. In Brittany’s interview, she says she int knows how it feels to be new in town, and have people questioning your relationship. We flash back to Stassi asking her, what if she’s wasting her best years? Brittany doesn’t want Raquel to go it alone. She wants to make sure Raquel knows she can be strong, stand up, and say he can’t do that. Jax says it’s bad when you can’t go anywhere without someone wanting to kick your ass. In his interview, Jax doesn’t see that James wants to change. He thinks he wanted to be better, but James doesn’t want it. Brittany calls Raquel to invite her, and Raquel says it would be awesome. Jax’s eyes bug out.

Jax asks what’s in a vodka and grapefruit. James wonders how they survived without him, when he has to be reminded how to make a two-ingredient drink. Tom comes in with Tony. In Jax’s interview, he says they have a different computer system and there are different bartenders, but he knows how to do his job. He doesn’t think anyone is looking at him under a microscope. Tony, Tom, and Schwartz sit down. Jax joins them, and Schwartz says he’s irritated. James is a complete a-hole, and insinuated Katie was fat. Jax corrects him, saying fat whore. Tony says he has to nip it in the bud. In his interview, schwartz says he’s not good at confrontations, but James insulted the love of his life, so reluctantly, he’s going to have to put his foot down.

James starts apologizing the second he sees Schwartz. He say he has no excuse; he’s a twenty-six year old man, and he’s embarrassed. Schwartz says James crossed the line. Katie isn’t fat; she’s sexy and luscious. Ooh. Much better than the usual curvy. In his interview, James says everyone is blowing it up into a humongous thing; bigger than her. What is wrong with this dude? He tells Schwartz what he did was disgusting, and he’s so sorry. He drank too much, and when he’s drunk, he goes for the jugular. Schwartz suggests he get some self-awareness, and get it together.

The girls meet all dressed up. in her interview, Stassi says it’s the perfect girls’ night; stiff drinks, outfits on point, and she doesn’t have to struggle to listen and talk over the sound of Scheana’s nails tapping on her phone all night.

Guys’ night is at Schwartz and Katie’s. Schwartz is making dinner when Tom comes in. Tom tells him that it’s one thing to be behind the bar, and another to have your own shaker. He gives a metal shaker to Schwartz, who says it looks like a sex toy, but he likes it. Jax comes in on his cooler scooter, which Tom thought he’d retired. He passes out beer, and tells the guys that he and Brittany are business owners. They’re starting a cheese company. Schwartz brings out the cheese-filled steaks he’s been cooking, and Tome says he still has PTSD. We flash back to the time Schwartz served Jax and Tom steaks that had been in his butt crack. Tom says, the steaks were really good though.

Brittany tells the other girls about inviting Raquel. Kristen thinks maybe her getting away can help her to figure it out. Brittany tells them that Raquel said she was coming. Stassi and Katie are like, whoa. Truth. I don’t get what these girls see in James. He has beautiful eyes, but other than that <noise like you got a wrong answer on a game show>. He’s scrawny, and his music is only okay. I’m not even a huge Kanye fan, and I can tell you that he’s certainly not the white Kanye. Ariana says Raquel doesn’t have any girlfriends, and Brittany says without them, she would have broken down. In her interview, Brittany says the only way she got through it was because she had a great group of girlfriends. know smile through it and dying inside might bring redneck out in her

Raquel arrives, wearing a jean jacket over a glam, sparkly fringed dress, and I can’t decide whether I like it or not. Kristen asks if James still has a job. Katie asks who needs to pee, and Kristen and Stassi go with her. To a bar on the other side of the room. Brittany tells Raquel that she wanted to check on her. Katie tells Stassi that she’s curious how Raquel feels about James being so derogatory towards women. Brittany asks Raquel if James was freaking out because she was going to be with them. Raquel says he was anxious, thinking it was going to be an ambush. Brittany says she wouldn’t let that happen, and Ariana say no one wants her to feel like she’s being attacked. Brittany asks if Raquel is aware that James has done some sh*tty sh*t. Ariana say Jax was the same way, and Brittany says she’s been there. She doesn’t want Raquel to be blind like she was. Raquel says it’s when he drinks. He doesn’t remember the conversation. He becomes a different person. In Brittany’s interview, she says that it’s easier for Raquel to believe James just has a drinking problem, to cover up the other problems. She’s not buying it. Katie and the others come back. Katie asks if Raquel knows that James made another rude comment to her. He goes as low as possible, and wants to hurt her. Kristen says he has a sh*tty temper when he’s sober. They hope he isn’t doing that to Raquel, and Raquel says, not unless he’s had way, way, way too much to drink. In Stassi’s interview, she says she felt put down all the time in her last relationship. She was blinded by what she thought was love. She wanted to make it work, and couldn’t see it for what it was. Raquel says she doesn’t want him to drink at all. Stassi say she doesn’t know Raquel very well, but as an outsider, taking in all these stories, it’s not good. Raquel says they don’t see the James she sees. They only see the guy who’s going out, partying, and getting drunk. It’s not a good side of him, but the James she sees, treats her like a queen. In Katie’s interview, she feels like she’s living in a Twilight Zone world, where monsters are able to do and say whatever they want. She tells the other girls that it’s making her not feel good about going to work. She’s talking to Lisa. This has to effing end.

Katie asks to talk to Lisa. Lisa asks if she’s okay. She says she is. Lisa asks if she has reason to be scared, and Katie says she doesn’t think so. They sit, and Katie says she was out back during a break at Pride. James came be, clearly drunk, and she told him to fix his pants. He gave her a disgusting stare, and said she should not be wearing those shorts. She’s fat. She says it was disgusting; he was so derogatory. Lisa doesn’t want Katie questioning how beautiful she is, since there was a time it would have affected her that way. She says James is in an idiot. Katie says, he gets away with abusive language toward women. In Katie’s interview, she says James has hurt and offended almost every person who works at SUR. We flash back to several clips of that. She tells us that his comment was the last and final straw.

Katie tells Lisa that she can’t show up at work and be subject to that kind of language. If he’s speaking to her like that, he’ll say it to anyone. Lisa didn’t realize the level and extent to which he was rude and ignorant. She saw him drunk at Pride, but chose not to deal with it. He was riding high, loving himself, doing his DJ thing. She glad Katie told her, and says she’ll deal with him. In her interview, Lisa says she doesn’t like anything that makes women feel less. She wants a place where people come to make money, has a joie de vivre, and where people can have a fantastic night. The people who work there don’t want to be insulted. Katie wants to know what Lisa is going to do, but Lisa says she doesn’t know yet. Katie says SUR has been her home and family for almost nine years, but she won’t work in a place where this is tolerated. Lisa asks if it’s an old tomato ultimatum. Katie says she’s only made one in her life – to Schwartz. We flash back to when she gave him six months to put a ring on it or she was moving on with her life. She says, and it worked. So maybe this is an ultimatum.

Next time, interviews for the TomTom staff, Ariana and Stassi plan their party, Lala tells Raquel to wake up. Lisa asks James who the eff he thinks he is, and as usual, James cries.
