General Hospital

Curtis lies unconscious in a hospital bed. Trina comes in, and sits next to the bed, telling him, this isn’t an authorized visit. She came because she wanted to thank him for basically saving her entire family. It makes her feel even worse about the way she treated him before. Please wake up. Give her a chance to apologize and thank him. She puts her hand on his, and Portia watches through the window.

In the waiting area, Sam brings Jordan some coffee. Sam asks if Molly and TJ came, and Jordan says, Molly went straight to work in the DA’s office. She’s determined to put the nail in Cyrus’s coffin. Sam says, leave it to Molly. How about TJ? Jordan says, he’s sleeping in the on-call room, and Sam says she has to leave, but asks Jordan to keep her posted on Curtis’s condition. Jordan say she’ll call her, and Sam leaves. Laura comes in, and asks if there’s any word on Curtis. Jordan says, he hasn’t regained consciousness. She went in a split-second too late. That’s why Cyrus got Curtis.

Brook runs down the stairs, yelling, where is she? Where’s Bailey? She’s not in her bassinette.

Maxie holds Bailey/Louise, and says she loves Louise so much. She’s so happy to have Louise back with her. How could she give Louise away? Maxie wakes up, and says, my God. How is she going to do this? Dante comes in and says, how’s she going to do what?

Brook runs into the living room, where Olivia is rocking Bailey. Olivia says she’s got Bailey, and Valentin says, Bailey was fussy, so he took her for a little walk. Brook says, thanks. Why didn’t he wake her? He says, because she was out cold. He brought Bailey downstairs and gave her a bottle. Olivia tells Bailey, he did a better job than she could have done herself. That’s saying something. Brook asks if she’s still dreaming, or are they getting along? and Olivia asks if Brook would prefer it if they were at each other’s throats. Brook says, Valentin walked in on Olivia naked. She thought Olivia would never forgive him. Olivia says she forgave him, and for good reason. Valentin says, nothing like a baby to bring a family together.

Michael and Willow wake up in each other’s arms, and say, good morning. Willow says, Wiley? and Michael says, he’s still asleep. She says, good, and they start getting busy. Morning breath be damned.

Sonny tells Lenny and Phyllis that he’s sorry about Eli. He knows they cared about him. Lenny says he just can’t believe it, and Phyllis says, their Eli sent thugs in there to threaten them, robbing the dance, menacing the good people of this town. Lenny says, menacing them, after all they did for him. She says ,does he know what this means? It was one of Elijah’s men who shot Nina’s ex that night. Lenny asks, where is Nina anyway?

Jax follows Carly into the Kitchen of the Hallowed Moss Bowl, which looks like a mothership that landed on the kitchen island. Jax says it was a big night for Carly last night, and she says she doesn’t know what he’s talking about. She was nowhere near that hostage crisis. He says she must be thrilled that Cyrus is behind bars, and she says, that’s exactly where he should be. He says he couldn’t agree more. It surprises him to say it, but he’s glad Jason is free and cleared of the murder charges. Now she can step back and hand Sonny’s business back to Jason.

Maxie says she was dreaming. How long has Dante been standing there? He says he just got there. He approaches the bed, and says he’s so sorry to hear what happened to her baby. Mac just played him the recording of Peter basically confessing… Maxie says, basically? He did confess. Dante says he knows, but he needs to hear from her what happened to her baby. She asks if they have to do this right now, and he says he has to ask her these questions as soon as possible, and she says, why? Sam comes in behind Dante, and he says he feels something is going on that Maxie’s not saying. Sam asks if Dante is implying that Maxie is responsible for her own baby being kidnapped.

Olivia tucks Bailey into one of those fancy old-fashioned cribs, and says, she’ll be out like a light in no time. She tells Brook that the proud papa is the one with the magic touch, and Brook says, who knew he was so good at feeding babies? Valentin says, it’s intimidating at first, but she’ll get the hang of it. She says she knows. She wishes she could nurse Bailey herself, but she’s not producing enough milk, so the doula said formula’s the way to go. He says, Charlotte took formula, and she was a big, healthy baby. Their baby seems to be liking it just fine. The doorbell rings, and Olivia goes to get it. Bailey yawns, and Brook says, she’s a super sweet baby. He says, their baby, and she says, yeah; theirs.

Olivia leads Ned in, and tells him, be prepared to lose his mind when he sees his beautiful new granddaughter.

Sonny says he doesn’t think Nina is going to be around much anymore, and Lenny asks, why not? Phyllis says, for heaven’s sake, after last night? She wouldn’t blame Nina if she ran screaming from Nixon Falls. Lenny says, is that what happened? Did Elijah scare Nina away? Sonny says, no. He did. Nina walks in, debunking that theory.

Carly tells Jax, it really isn’t any concern of his, and he says, if only that were true. Last he checked, they had a daughter together. She says, Josslyn is perfectly safe, and he says, right. Until the next time there’s a kidnapping, or a shootout. She says she’s not going to discuss this with him, and starts to walk away. He says, what’s there to discuss? The last time they spoke, she told him that she had to take over because there was no one else to run the business, but now there is – Jason. Unless… She says, unless what? and he says, unless she enjoys having the power Sonny wielded for years.

Laura tells Jordan, there’s only one person to blame here, and that’s Cyrus. Jordan says she’ll keep telling herself that until she believes it, and Laura says she’s sorry she couldn’t stay with Jordan while Curtis went into surgery. Jordan says, it was hardly a slow news day. With the shootout at the warehouse, and another on the docks… Oh yeah, the being a hostage thing. Stella runs in and asks, what happened to her nephew?

Stella tells Jordan, she heard Curtis was shot, and asks how bad it is. Jordan says, he was in the OR all night. Now he’s in critical but stable condition. Laura says, he saved her life, and Jordan says she was hoping he’d regain consciousness. Stella asks about the person who did it, and Jordan says, he’s there too, under heavy guard. Stella asks, why? and Jordan says, she shot him. Stella says, good. She knows that doesn’t seem like the Christian thing to say. She’ll pray for him. She’ll pray he has a long life… of penance. Jordan says, he’s going to prison, and Laura thanks Jordan. Jordan says she wishes it hadn’t taken so long, and Laura says Jordan is a hero; in her eyes and the eyes of the people of Port Charles. She’s proud of Jordan. She leaves, and Jordan says, what the mayor didn’t tell Stella, is that Curtis found his way into the house. If he hadn’t risked himself, Cyrus might have killed Laura. He’s the hero, not her. Stella says she knows her nephew is a hero. She wants to see him, but first, she needs to know how Jordan is doing.

Trina tells Curtis, last year, after he saved her life, the only thanks she gave him was treating him like dirt. She was going off about him, and her mom told her to take a deep breath. After she did, her mom asked if she knew why she could do that, and said it was because of Curtis. She was right. Because of him, she’s able to breathe. She said it; now he has to say something. Wake up and talk. She needs him to live. Portia is waiting outside the room, when Laura comes by. She asks how Curtis is, and Portia says, his surgeon said the next hour is critical. She keeps going over it in her mind. If Curtis hadn’t called at the exact second he did, no one would have known Cyrus was at her home. He would have killed her and Trina, and gotten away, but Curtis did call her. Laura says she was with him when he called, and Portia says, really? She doesn’t know what Curtis wanted to tell her.

Dante tells Sam, he doesn’t think Maxie had anything to do with her baby being taken, but he thinks there are facts she’s not divulging for various reasons. Sam asks, what kind of reasons? and Dante says, fatigue, anxiety, maybe Maxie is thinking more clearly today, so if Sam doesn’t mind… Maxie asks if Sam can stay for moral support, and Dante says, sure. He needs to hear everything that happened last night, from the beginning. He doesn’t want Maxie to have to relive it, but unfortunately, it’s the only way to find Louise.

Brook tells Ned to prepare to fall in love with Bailey; resistance is futile. Ned says, no kidding, and Olivia says, isn’t she the most beautiful thing? Ned says, truly spectacular. He can see Lila in her. He thanks Brook for the beautiful gift, and she says he’s welcome. As an added bonus, she comes with a beautiful set of ELQ shares. Valentin comes in, and asks how their precious bundle is. He doesn’t want to be a downer, but he’d like to see his name on the birth certificate, so he’s officially Bailey’s father, and always will be.

Phyllis tells Nina, Mike/Sonny told them what happened last night, and Lenny says, they were so blind to Eli’s faults. He thanks Nina and Mike for opening their eyes. Phyllis says Nina and Mike are quite a team; she always said so. Lenny tells Sonny/Mike that he probably wants to rest on his laurels as a her to the people, but he needs a hand out front with the lights. Sonny leaves with him, and Phyllis asks Nina, what’s going on with her and Mike?

Carly says she’s not discussing her power or position with Jax. So if that’s why he’s there, he should leave. He says that’s not why he’s there. He came to see if she’d revisit the idea of Nina having a place in Wiley’s life. She laughs.

Jordan tells Stella, she was sitting up all night waiting, and had nothing to do but think about her and Curtis, and why they didn’t work out. Stella says, Jordan still loves him, doesn’t she? and Jordan says, of course (🍷). Stella says she thought Jordan might. She’s so sorry about the divorce, believe it or not. Jordan says she does believe it, and Stella says, despite her objections leading up to the marriage, she’s loved Jordan like a daughter. Jordan says she loves Stella too; that’s what makes it harder. She and Curtis weren’t even together anymore, and Curtis got involved in the tangled Cyrus mess. It’s her fault. Stella says she’s sure it was Curtis’s choice. Jordan didn’t trap him. Jordan says, he was so close to starting his new life, away from the crime, violence, and secrets, but when there was danger… Stella says, he ran into it, instead of away like any sensible person. She’s never known Curtis not to put his life on the line to help someone. Take it easy on herself. She’s here now, and Jordan can lean on her. Jordan puts her head on Stella’s shoulder.

Laura tells Portia that she stopped be the club to give Curtis his liquor license. She expected him to be enthusiastic, and when he wasn’t, she called him on it. He gave her the impression that he’d left something unresolved with Portia, and wanted to resolve it right away. He called Portia, and the call took an unexpected turn. Trina comes out of Curtis’s room, and Laura asks if it would be all right for her to see him. Portia says, of course (🍷). Laura goes in, and Trina says she thought she could badger Curtis into waking up, but it didn’t work. Portia holds Trina, and tells her, it’s okay.

Laura sits by the bed, and tells Curtis that it’s her. Their friendship was one of the most wonderful surprises in her life. It’s been an adventure. As someone who’s had a lot of adventures, she’s actually accustomed to having them with him. He needs to stick around. They have a lot more to accomplish.

Sonny says, there’s nothing wrong with the lights, and Lenny says, that’s because they’re working perfectly. He just wanted to check in about how Sonny is getting on with Nina. They seemed like they were getting on like gangbusters; the dynamic duo. Now they can barely look at each other. Sonny says he scared Nina off, and Lenny asks, how? Sonny says he made a stupid mistake.

Phyllis says, Mike/Sonny kissed Nina? Phyllis doesn’t know how to break it to her, but everyone saw it coming. Nina says, oh God, and Phyllis says they’ve had a connection since Nina got there. What’s wrong with them having feelings for each other? Nina says Phyllis has no idea.

Jax says he knows Nina upset Willow and Wiley, and Carly says, that proves Nina’s not in a good place and shouldn’t have contact with Wiley. (What was that, like a year ago?) Jax says, whether or not Nina sees Wiley isn’t her decision; it’s Michael and Willow’s. She says, and they’re free to make it. And she’s free to give her opinion, and they’re free to ignore it. He says, all he knows is, Michael is ignoring him. that’s unlike Michael. What’s going on? Does she know? She laughs again, since apparently, everything is funny to Carly today.  

Willow and Michael sit with Wiley, and she says, having Wiley in the morning is the best, and Michael says he’d like it to be like this every day. She thinks Wiley would like it too, but… He says he knows. They’ll just enjoy what they have right now; her, him, and their son.

Maxie tells Dante, Chloe, or whatever her real name was, drugged her, and took her to a house outside Pawtuck. When she woke up, Chloe said she was going to induce labor. She doesn’t know if it’s because the drug was wearing off or it was a rush of adrenaline, but she knocked Chloe down and ran into the woods. Dante says, maybe Chloe is a nurse; they could track her down that way. Maxie says she was having contractions, and couldn’t run anymore. She met a hiker in the woods, who was a doctor, and he delivered Louise. Dante says, then what? and she says fake psycho Chloe found them, and hit the doctor in the head, knocking him out. She tried to run, but… Dante asks, what happened then? and Maxie flashes back to telling Brook that she had to take Louise.   

Olivia says, for the record, she wants to reiterate that she hates the baby being used this way. Valentin says he’s not thrilled either, but he didn’t make the rules. Brook says she has the birth certificate; does Valentin have the shares? Ned says he needs to speak privately with his daughter, and Valentin says he hasn’t had breakfast yet. Would Olivia like to join him? Ned says he needs Olivia there too, and Valentin asks why he can’t be a part of the conversation. Ned says, Olivia is family; he’s not. Valentin says he is, kind of, and Ned says, just go. Valentin leaves, and Brook says, okay, let her have it. Ned tells her, forget about the shares. Just get rid of Valentin.

Nina tells Phyllis, she’s still not over what happened with her grandson Wiley. She can’t just jump into something complicated with Mike/Sonny. Phyllis asks what Nina’s grandson has to do it, and Nina says her mind is lumping all the complications together. Phyllis asks, what’s complicated about Mike? and Nina says, is she kidding? He doesn’t remember who he is. He has a life, and people he doesn’t remember. Phyllis says, he’s had every opportunity to track down that life, and what has he done? He put roots down there, and Nina has been no small part in his decision.

Lenny says he’s surprised Nina put on the breaks, and Sonny asks, why? Because he’s irresistible? Lenny says, no. They seemed like they both had feelings for one another. Sonny says he knows. He guesses he read her wrong. He went by instinct, not memory. Lenny says Sonny has good instincts. He knew how to handle the thugs, and knew how to handle Eli. He knows how to talk to Phyllis about improving her cooking, and that’s way more dangerous than Eli. Sonny says he has a good instinct for danger, but when it comes to Nina, not so much.

Carly says, between Wiley and Aurora, Michael has been busy, and Jax asks if Willow didn’t adopt Wiley. She says, now that Nelle is gone, there’s nothing to stop Willow and Chase from getting back together. He asks how Michael feels about that, but Carly says she doesn’t know. Michael and Chase are friends. Chase has spent a lot of time in the hospital, so Michael has too. It’s not Jax, if that’s what he’s worried about. Jax says, good to know, and she asks why he’s still pushing the issue. He and Nina are broken up. He says, so what? Nina deserves to be part of Wiley’s life. She asks if he’s doing the right thing, or is he hoping Nina will come back to him if he does? He says, no offense, but she’s in no position to offer advice on affairs of the heart. She’s too busy dealing with hostage exchanges and shootings on the docks.

Willow tells Michael that she’s meeting her study partner at GH, and he asks if she’s going to see Chase. She says she is, and tells him that she loves him and Wiley so much. He says he loves the both of them too, and tells Wiley that mommy and daddy love him so much. Soon they’ll be waking up together. Wiley has started talking, and says some cute nonsense stuff. 

Dante asks how Chloe got the baby, because apparently he’s stupid, and Maxie says she was weak and exhausted from giving birth. Chloe took her. Dante says, so Chloe knocked out the hiker. Did she threaten Maxie? Maxie says, she’s sorry; she can’t do this. Don’t make her. Dante says he’s sorry. He didn’t mean to upset her, but the longer they wait, the less chance they have of finding Louise. Same says, Maxie will answer; give her a break. She takes Dante out to the hallway, and says, how dare he badger Maxie? He says he’s doing his job, but Sam says, give her time to process. He says he doesn’t have time, and she asks if he’s any closer to finding Louise now that he gave Maxie the third degree. Have a heart, or at least find one.

Brook tells Ned, it’s the only way to get ELQ back, but he says, forget it. Olivia was right. It was one thing when Bailey was just an idea. Now that she’s here, he realizes she’s far too precious to use for something so trivial as controlling the family company. She asks since when he considers ELQ trivial, and he says if she makes a deal with Valentin, he’ll be in it for life, and for what? She says, majority voting rights, but he says, all he cares about is his daughter and granddaughter’s happiness. His whole world is right in this room. Valentin comes back, and asks if Brook is ready to seal the deal.   

Laura comes out of Curtis’s room, and says, it’s hard to see him like this. He’s so strong, so vibrant… so brave. Jordan and Stella join them, and Jordan asks Portia how Curtis is. Portia says, no change, and Stella asks if Portia is his doctor. Portia says, no, but she is a doctor. Laura introduces Stella to Portia, and Portia says it’s good to finally meet Stella, even though the circumstances are unfortunate. Curtis talks about her all the time. Stella says she believes Curtis has mentioned Portia as well.

Jordan goes in to see Curtis, and sits next to his bed. She tells him that he’d better wake up now. Stella is here, and there’s no way she’ll stand for this. When she walked in, Jordan braced herself for the talking to of her life, but Stella was wonderful and supportive. The last time they saw Stella, they’d promised to take care of each other. Her secrets compromised her, and weakened them. Not him. He’s always the strong one. So please, find his strength. Beat the odds, and come back to them. She kisses his hand.

Trina tells Portia that she talked to Curtis. She hoped he’d hear her and wake up, but he didn’t. Stella says, all the strong women pulling for him, Curtis knows he’d better wake up soon. She goes in to see him, and Jordan says, if anyone can bring Curtis around, it’s Stella. Portia says she’s getting that impression.   

Stella says, her dear, sweet nephew. She came in full of fire and vinegar, swearing vengeance on who put him there. All that anger is just a cover-up for fear, but it’s nothing compared to the love she has for him. Wake up now, baby. Wake up, and jump into that new life with both feet, and make a splash. She doesn’t want to live in a world without him in it.

Olivia tells Ned, what he said was really something, and Ned says, Bailey helped him find his conscience. Isn’t that what babies are supposed to do? She says, God made babies soft, round, and cute, so they love them and do right by them. (Hello Kitty also comes to mind as being soft, round, and cute.) He says, is that so? Well, too bad it didn’t do a damn bit of good. They see Valentin and Brook signing their respective papers.

Valentin tells Brook, the Quartermaines have now gained control of voting rights of ELQ. Not that they’ll ever agree on anything. Bailey stirs, and they fawn over her.

Maxie remembers saying goodbye to Louise and giving her to Brook.  

Dante says, Sam doesn’t think he has a heart? She says he used to, but she thinks he got so caught up in being a cop, he forgot how to be a friend.

Michael lets Jax into the gatehouse, and apologizes for not getting back to him. Jax asks if Michael is busy now, and Michael says he just sent Wiley off with the nanny, and was heading to the office. Jax says, it won’t take long, and Michael says, okay. What’s up?

Phyllis says, Mike could be the key to a new life for Nina… and him. They make each other so happy.

Lenny says, it might surprise Mike, but he’s not one for the hearts and flowers stuff. Sonny says he’s shocked, and Lenny says, but with him and Nina, it’s undeniable. Take her out for a nice dinner, go dancing… avoid crime. Sonny doesn’t know, and Lenny asks if Nina would show up where he lived and worked if she didn’t want to see him?

Ned tells Olivia, now that his granddaughter is there, he plans on coming around a lot. If that’s okay with her. She asks if he’s kidding. Does he think she’d keep him away from his granddaughter? He says, looking at her with Bailey, Bailey is as much her family as his. Does she think they can be grandparents together?

Brook thanks Valentin, and he says, a deal is a deal. Brook thanks him for taking Bailey this morning. It was a stressful night. He says it’s the least he could do, and she says she’s rested now, and Olivia is there. She thinks he and Charlotte can move back into their old digs. They can arrange a visitation schedule. He asks why they should move out, and she says, they don’t live there. He says, Monica doesn’t mind, and he wants to stay close. It will bring them together.  

Dante says, maybe Sam is right. Maybe he’s rusty, and forgot the difference between questioning a suspect and a victim, and Maxie. Sam asks if he wants her to see what she can find out, and he says, okay, but he does have to hear from Maxie… when she’s ready. He leaves, and Sam goes into Maxie’s room. She tells Maxie that she got Dante to back off, and Maxie thanks her. Sam says, but as soon as Maxie is rested, she needs to focus. She needs to remember everything. That might be the only way to bring her daughter home safe.

Stella comes out of Curtis’s room, and Portia goes in. She tells Jordan that she’s sorry. She thought Curtis would wake up for her.

Portia says she doesn’t know why Curtis called, but at that moment, it was the most important call of their lives. She starts to cry, and says, he saved her and he saved Trina. He keeps showing up for them. She kisses her hand and puts it on his face. His eyes open, and he looks at her.

Willow gets to the hospital, and a nurse says, Chase has been asking for her. Please hurry.

Michael asks what this is about, and Jax says he knows what’s going on between Michael and Willow. 

Nina says, it seems Phyllis and Lenny left them alone on purpose, and Sonny says, they think they’re being subtle. She says, it’s not working. She thinks they need to talk about the kiss, and Sonny tells her that he was just going to say the same thing.

Carly looks at a picture of Sonny on her phone, and says she misses him. She’s trying so hard, but she misses him.

Tomorrow, Elizabeth says, it’s always going to come down to Finn; Michael asks Jax, since when is blackmail a reasonable compromise; and Stella would like a moment with Portia.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht

This isn’t over yet?

Colin tells Gary, if he likes Alli, don’t f*** Sydney, but Gary says he’s already decided. JL tells Dani, if she wants to take their relationship somewhere, he’s open to it. They can take things day by day. Dani thinks the others are doing shots, and they should go over to the table. Unfortunately, they should hang out with the rest of the crew. Gary says Sydney is flirting, and she says, no, you. In her interview, she says, maybe she is. Natasha toasts to being themselves. Why? They head back to the boat, and in the taxi, Sydney says Gary is drunk, but he insists he’s just tipsy and thinking deep thoughts. Ha-ha-ha! I think the deepest thing Gary thinks about is what he’s going to have for breakfast. In Gary’s interview, he wonders what he got himself into. Has he made the right choice? Alli says she’s horny, and Gary leaps into the front seat. Dani makes out with JL in another taxi. This whole show is creeping me out at this point.

Gary follows Alli like puppy (but not as cute, or even cute at all) back onto the yacht. She says he’s getting stupid. Getting? JL tells Dani that he’s got to sleep, and whacks his head going into the cabin. Glenn laughs. The others drink another shot, and Daisy suggests getting in the hot tub. Gary asks Daisy, if he told her that she had a good body, would she hold it against him? The last time I heard that, I laughed so hard, I fell off my dinosaur. Colin makes some food in the galley. Sydney suggests they skinny-dip, and Daisy tells her to take her top off. Sydney says they’ve already seen her naked, so… Alli wants some of Colin’s food, but it’s a hard no. Leave him alone; he’s drunk eating. Daisy gets Alli and Colin to come up to the hot tub, and in Alli’s interview, she says, WTF? Sydney says it was Daisy’s idea that she go topless. She promises nothing weird went on. Alli is annoyed with Daisy for getting her in the first place. She wants to talk to Gary, who pants, wags his tail, and follows her. Sydney lounges in the hot tub, alone again. Alli tells Gary that all she’s done is try to do the right thing, and she finds him sitting in the hot tub, along with Sydney who has her top off. She feels that he’s humiliated her, and put her in an uncomfortable situation. He said he was on the opposite side of the tub, and couldn’t control what Sydney wanted to do. Alli calls him an effing coward, and Gary says he didn’t ask Sydney to go topless, and now Alli is angry because she was topless. Sydney repeats that Daisy told her to, and Alli tells Gary to let her effing have her say. She hasn’t gotten angry once. She effing said she liked him, and then she found him sitting in a hot tub with a topless Sydney. F*** him. He deserves it, It’s all his effing doing.

Sydney jets, and Alli says she feels disrespected. Gary is an effing idiot. Agreed. Gary thinks she’s going a bit overboard, and Sydney is too. Alli says, how is this effing okay? All she’s done to communicate her feelings, and she looks like an idiot. Agreed again. She tells him to talk to her for once, on a one-on-one level. In Sydney’s interview, she says, emotions are irrational, so she can’t blame Alli for feeling the way she does. Alli should have had more sympathy for what Sydney went through, but she didn’t, so Sydney doesn’t have any sympathy now. Gary says he can’t diffuse the situation, and Alli calls him an idiot again. She says it doesn’t matter if Daisy told Sydney to get nakey. Gary should have learned a lesson on what’s appropriate. In Alli’s interview, she says, she was the one who had to break up with him. She’s hurting too. She tells him to talk to her like she’s an effing person. Dani tells Daisy, if a guy talked to her like that, she would have slapped the sh*t out of him. In her interview, she says she’d be spending the rest of her life in a Croatian jail. She suggests Sydney go to bed. Gary tells Alli that he’ll give her space to get angry. In his interview, he says he feels he’s not in the wrong, and he’s not going to let her degrade him. It hurts to be spoken to like that. Hear that? It’s me playing the violin.

At 8 am, everyone starts to get up. Sydney thinks she’s still drunk. Contractor Jon calls Glenn, who asks how much time it will take for Jon to finish the repairs on the yacht. Jon says, ideally, seven weeks, and in Glenn’s interview, he says, after the season is done, there are things that need to be fixed up. They have to fix the transom properly, so when he takes the boat back to Palma, he’ll get the off-season stuff finished. He tells Jon that he should be there in two or three days. Gary bitches to Colin about Alli getting mad, and says he never felt this feeling. He wants to vomit because he treated someone like this. He doesn’t know what to do. More violin music in the background of my mind.

Alli wants run away, and Gary asks Sydney how she’s feeling. She tells him that he instigates. She was wondering if he was getting back at Alli, or just being handsy. Alli tells Daisy that Sydney eggs Gary on, but Daisy thinks Sydney was innocent in this one. Sydney tells Gary that she’s sorry, and Gary says she has nothing to feel sorry about. The stews spruce up the guest cabins, and Dani talks to Alli about JL. She says she obviously likes him, but she didn’t expect to be having a conversation like that. In Dani’s interview, she says, it’s amazing, but the timing is bad. Colin asks Daisy if anything juicy happened. Sydney got topless, and he left. Gary had said he was going to f*** Sydney to get Alli’s attention. Daisy says she has no words. She just wants it to stop. Meee tooooo! 

Gary sniffs out Alli, and says he apologizes from the bottom of his heart. He feels like a proper d*ck. He’s ashamed about what he’s done. Alli says she’s given him multiple chances for this conversation, and every time, he’s gotten pissed and stormed off. She’s not lecturing him, but she needs to get some things off her chest. She’s hurt. and doesn’t want to bond with someone capable of doing that. Gary apologizes for the situation he’s put her in, and says he’ll keep his distance and give her space. As long as they can be professional at work. She says, of course, and he says, you learn from your mistakes. Didn’t he say he was giving her space last week?    

Glenn calls Natasha, Daisy, and Gary to the crew mess for the preference sheet meeting. The primaries are Amanda and Michelle, who work in tech. They want to sail around beautiful coastal towns and see the sights. Gary reads that they want to do an obstacle course using the water toys, and have a beach picnic after the race. Daisy says they want a club night, and Natasha reads that they’d like a bougie brunch. Glenn says they never know what they’re going to get. Charters that seem like they’ll be challenging (i.e. a pain in the ass), might end up not being too bad. In Glenn’s interview, he says, they’re asking for an obstacle course, a picnic, a club night, and a… He has trouble with the word bougie, and says he doesn’t know what a bougie brunch is, but they want one. He tells the crew that he hopes they knock it out of the park, since it’s the final charter. Glenn tells Gary that he has to bring the boat back to Palma and would like him to stay on as an officer. He likes the way Gary runs the deck, and he’s looking at long term. Gary says, cool, and in his interview, Glenn says, despite the mistakes made with the last charter, Gary is the kind of mate every boat is looking for. Really? Don’t get me wrong. I couldn’t give a flying who this dude sleeps with, but I think he’s made some seriously poor personal choices that involve people who also work on the boat. Who knows what consequences those choices could provoke among the workers? That can’t be something every boat is looking for.

Natasha calls for some special provisions, like fresh grape leaves, and Dani asks how the situation with Alli is. Alli says Gary apologized, but she doesn’t know how to act. How can they start from scratch, when they’re going to be gone in a minute anyway? Provisions arrive, and in Colin’s interview, he says, in helping the other departments, he sees where they’re lacking. He wants to have a meeting with Gary, Natasha, and Daisy where they can talk about improvements. Everyone needs to be on the same page, so they can finish the season on a high. They sit in a circle on the floor in one of the rooms, and Colin says he’s there to make money. He thinks all heads of the departments need to take control if their departments. Daisy agrees. She says they relaxed last charter; they want to have a nice end, and be as professional as they can. She asks if there’s anything the three of them need from the interior, but they’re good. Natasha says she thinks she and Daisy are communicating better, and we flash back to a few miscommunications between them. Daisy says, yay, team, and Gary says, let’s smash this one out. In Colin’s interview, he says he wishes he’d done this earlier. They either need to start over or have 10 more charters they can knock out of the park. Glenn watches in the crew mess, as Dani dances around, singing, she can’t wait to leave. He laughs, and she says she’d love to have him as a captain forever, but she’s anxious to get on land. He says, fair enough.  

Glenn calls the crew to the aft deck, and tells them to make it the best one yet. Everyone goes, yay! They wait, but five minutes after guest arrival time, there are still no guests. The champagne starts to get warm, and at ten minutes after time, Colin says, maybe they forgot. Alli says, maybe they got lost, and Glenn wonders what’s wrong. There’s not a guest in sight. The yachting agent calls Glenn, and says he has bad news, and maybe good news. First, the bad news. All six of their next charter guests have tested positive, and can’t go on the charter, but they may have a back-up group. Glenn talks to the charter manager, and asks how soon they might see a second group, but he says, they won’t be seeing them today at all. Glenn tells the crew there’s good/bad news. Although the guests had tests that came back positive, the good news is, they’re showing no symptoms. They still can’t come on board, but the broker is looking for a replacement. It will be tomorrow at the earliest. In Gary’s interview, he says they just had the most productive meeting, but they might not get the chance to rectify the sh*tty end to the season. Glenn says, moving forward, and Daisy says she feels sorry for the absent guests. Everyone starts organizing stuff to keep busy, and Natasha finds a mushy watermelon.

Glenn asks Natasha for a quick word. He’s bringing the boat back to Spain, and needs a crew. She says she’ll do it, and thanks him. JL wants to take Dani on a tender ride, and asks Glenn if it would be okay. Glenn says, sounds good; have fun. JL tells Daisy about his plans, and asks if he can snag a bottle of wine or two. She tells him, sure, and JL tells Dani that they’re going on a tender ride. She goes to her cabin to change, and JL prepares by listening to music on his headphones. In JL’s interview, he says, ideally (WOTD), he’d like a relationship with Dani, but time is running out. He thinks they’re on the same page. At least that’s what he hopes. He and Dani go off in the tender, and Gary says, how romantic, driving into the sunset. He’s jealous. He yells, take me with you!

Gary sits with Alli, and she asks if this is awkward. They can be friends, but he has to understand the position he’s put her in. He says he’s been giving her space, when it’s probably the most important time. I’m trying to figure out what space he gave her, since it hasn’t even been an entire day. In Alli’s interview, she says if Sydney hadn’t been in the picture, she and Gary would probably be going off into the sunset. They had something special, and it doesn’t go away overnight. If there was a camera here, I’d be giving it a look. Voice of reason, sensibility, and all things humane, Colin calls his girlfriend Martina. She tells him that the ladies who saw Marty (his dog) before he went to the hospital, found another dog. He says, it’s a difficult decision, and of course I’m hoping he takes the dog. In Sydney’s interview, she says she and Daisy butt heads from time to time, but they’re joining forces to give JL and Dani the best romantic situation. On the tender, Dani says JL must have had a first love; the one that got away. He says he never had a real connection before, and she says she thinks he’ll find a nice girl his own age. It won’t be her. They kiss, and head back to the boat. They see a bistro table and chairs with wine for two on the upper deck by the jacuzzi. It’s gorgeous; drapes of netting hanging down, decorated with those tiny white lights I love. They walk up the stairs, each stair having a tealight on either side. Dani says, it’s so cute, and JL says, it’s just her and him. She says, it’s absolutely beautiful. She effing loves it. Gary tells Alli that’s the way he wanted to set up their romantic evening, and I want to gag. Alli says the world is full of enough negativity. They don’t need to add their petty bullsh*t to it with their avoidable problems. Like the one they just went through. Gary says he’s happy they’ve moved past it. It feels like a fresh start. I wonder if I missed something. Like Gary giving her space and Alli rethinking this, and making a final decision. In Alli’s interview, she says she needs to feel that they’re in this together. He’s working with her now. She sees him in a different light. They kiss. Okay. I give up.  

Dani says this is the coolest thing anyone has ever done for her. Glenn tells the crew that they’re a romantic bunch. Dani tells JL that she kind of likes him a lot. He makes her feel like she’s the most amazing person, but she doesn’t see how it can actually work. JL says he understands where she’s coming from, but at the end of the day, they make each other happy, and that’s all that matters. Dani says she wants to get married and have babies. Why don’t they have sex tonight, and if she gets pregnant, it’s God’s will. It honestly scares her that he’s never had a relationship. JL says, he gets it, but sometimes you have to take a leap of faith. She kisses him. Zzzzzz… JL says, it means a lot to him. The rest of the crew watches from the deck below. JL asks if he can come to Dani’s bed for a little bit, and as they leave, the crew goes, wooo.

JL and Dani kiss in her bunk. She says, it was an amazing date. They say they love each other, and then whatever’s happening becomes unclear. Dani says, it was good, not specifying what it was, and JL says the bed is too small. She suggests they go to his, but he says, the captain is there. She says she just wants to be with him, and leads him to his cabin. Glenn is in bed already, and he’s like, um… Dani tells JL, sleep well, and JL tells Glenn, she’s a firecracker.

In the crew mess, Dani thanks the Daisy and Alli for the date set-up. JL comes in, and Gary says both of them are smiling, and it’s first thing in the morning. Glenn gets an email from yacht management about a potential charter, and calls everyone to the saloon. He says he has interesting news. They have a charter in an hour. The management company of the motor yacht Lady Michelle has paid for a 24-hour charter for their crew. In Colin’s interview, he says a crew will know how things run. They’ll pick apart the chef’s food, and pick hole in the service. He can’t even talk about it; he hates it so much. Daisy says this is the lowest point of her career. Glenn says, the yacht next to them paid for a 24-hour charter for their crew of eight, and they wanted a charter. In his interview, he says he understands where they’re coming from. Another crew has the opportunity to make their lives a living hell. He tells the crew, yachties are almost like people. They have no preference sheets, and the management company is going to wire their gratuity; it won’t come directly from the crew. Who they are doesn’t matter. It’s their job to give them the best guest service they can. Daisy says, they’d better be hot, and Glenn says, they have 45 minutes.   

Colin says, we’re still getting a tip, dumbasses. Dani says, they could be super nice or d*ckheads. Sydney says, this is her worst nightmare, but Colin says, as long as they’re respectful. Daisy says, this is serious pressure, and Dani says, they’re from a motor yacht, so they’re up there. Daisy says they’ll get them pissed so they don’t notice. She’d rather deal with drunks than hear things like, their turndowns are sh*t, or their cocktails are crap. They’ll get the guests so pissed, they can’t see or taste anything. Glenn tells them to get ready, and Gary says, yachties pick up on effing everything. In Dani’s interview, she says motor yacht crews think sailing yacht crews have tattoos and long hair. Yeah, bro. I’m just chillin’. She laughs and says, it’s true. Gary thinks they’ll be demanding, and tells Daisy, if she needs anything, let him know.

Glenn tells them to get in position, and Daisy says, here we go. The guests come toward the boat, and Glenn says, here are the fine people who are coming on charter.

Next time, the season finale – thank you, God – Gary says, the guests are judging everything; Sydney wears a ballet outfit while carrying sparklers; Glenn says two crews of yachties together is terrifying, and he doesn’t want to end the season with a drunken orgy: JL tells Dani, it would be too sad to end; and Alli wants Gary to leave her alone. Probably for ten whole minutes.
