General Hospital

Felicia looks at a video of Georgie with a gingerbread house and suggests she and Maxie show off their engineering skills to Mac, but Georgie wants to change into something with less frosting on it first. Maxie asks her to check on Bailey, but don’t wake her up, and Georgie leaves. Felicia says, Maxie seems distracted. She’s missing out on Christmas Eve with her kids. Maxie says she’s trying to get in the spirit. This year, the holidays just remind her of how fast life changes. This time last year, Deception was such a success. She was riding high even though she’d just broken up with Austin. She still can’t believe he’s gone. (I can’t believe I forgot all about her and Austin.) She doesn’t have any lingering feelings or regrets for breaking up with him, she just feels awful about how he died. Felicia says, Maxie has a lot going on, but keep the faith. She has the feeling that by this time next year, things will be looking up for Maxie. Maxie says she hopes so, when the doorbell rings.

Josslyn asks if Dex is ready to spend his first Christmas with her family, and he says he needs her to guide him through. She says, first, she needs to guide herself. She really needs this break from classes and studying and… She sees Adam outside the door and asks what he’s still doing here.

Charlotte comes out of her room to see Doc and Laura and asks when they got here. Laura says, they haven’t been here long at all, and hugs her, saying, merry Christmas. Her dad needed to step out for a moment, and she was taking a nap, so he asked them to come over. Charlotte says, it’s Christmas Eve. What could he possibly be doing?

At the MetroCourt, Valentin knocks at Anna’s door and she opens it.

Elizabeth puts on an apron and wonders how they’re going to get all this done tonight, but Aiden says, don’t worry. He’s a professional. She says she’s not. Just keep doing what he’s doing – the doorbell rings – and she’ll get the door. She opens it to Finn and Violet, and says, merry Christmas Eve. He tells her, merry Christmas Eve (is that a thing?), and she says, come in. Finn asks if Violet isn’t going to wish Aunt Elizabeth a merry Christmas Eve, and less than enthusiastically, Violet says, merry Christmas.

Maxie opens the door and Spinelli is there, shivering and wet. He says he requires her urgent assistance.

Portia says, Curtis looks deep in thought, and he says, just admiring his blessings. Look at his beautiful family – we see Trina, Stella, and Marshall gathered around the table – happy and together. And since they are, everyone gather around. He has something to tell them all. Something life changing.

Valentin says he was surprised to get Anna’s phone call. Can they make this quick? He’s missing Christmas Eve with his daughter. She says, yes, of course (🍷). How’s Charlotte? Please tell her that Charlotte’s doing well. He says, she’s got a long road ahead of her, but she’s much better. He wishes he’d told Anna the truth from the start. She says, he owed her the truth, but she owes him the same.

Laura says, Charlotte’s dad was hoping to be back before she woke up, but she’s sure he’ll be here any minute now. Charlotte says she hopes so. Papa promised they’d spend Christmas together, since last year he was… away. Laura says she, for one, is very happy to be home for Christmas. She’s very grateful to get some time with her sweet, little granddaughter. (Charlotte is neither sweet nor little, but because it’s Laura, I’ll let it pass.) Charlotte says she’s very happy they’re here, both of them, and Doc says, thank you. Now does anyone know how to make a ribbon all squiggly? Charlotte says, it’s ridiculously easy, and he says, prove it, handing her the wrapped box.

Elizabeth tells Violet that Aiden is making cookies and they’re going to sing some Christmas carols. Finn asks if she thinks she wants to do some singing, and Violet says, maybe. Can she go color now? He tells her, sure, if that’s what she wants to do, and she goes to the coffee table. Elizabeth asks, what’s going on? but he says he doesn’t know. Leo Quartermaine told her Santa isn’t real, but he already handled it. He thought maybe she was just tired, but she’s been like this all day. Elizabeth says, that doesn’t sound like her. Did anything else happen? He says he asked her, but she won’t tell him. He doesn’t know what to do at this point. She says, just lay low and give her some time, and he says, maybe they’ll get a Christmas miracle.

Josslyn says she thought Adam had an early flight this morning, but he says, not exactly. She says, then what exactly? and he says he’s not going home. She says, since when? He didn’t mention this when they were studying last night. He says, technically, he didn’t decide until this morning, and she says, so he chose to stay in the dorms alone on Christmas? Dex says, some people enjoy the peace and quiet, and Adam says, see? Josslyn says, okay, but the dining halls are closed. What is he going to eat? He says he can call for delivery service, and there’s so much ramen in his room… She says, that’s pathetic. Come on. She and Dex can give him a ride back. He says he can’t go home.

Curtis says, let him start by saying he’s so grateful to share this holiday with them all. It’s been a challenging year, and he can truthfully say he wouldn’t have made it through without the love and support of each of them. Stella says, amen. They love him too. Now spit it out. He says, lovely Portia has been researching clinical trials for people with paralysis. She found experimental treatment that might restore his ability to walk. Stella says, that’s wonderful. He did apply for participation. He says he’s already under consideration, and Trina asks when he’ll start if they select him. He says, it could be as soon as January, and Portia says, that’s exactly right. The doorbell rings – since everyone got a doorbell for Christmas – and Portia answers. Spencer says, merry Christmas.

Anna says, so they now know for certain, James Forsythe was responsible for setting fire to her house, and Valentin thanks her for the confirmation. It was a relief to know Charlotte wasn’t responsible for the arson, but it’s good to know who was and why she was targeted. Brennan? The director? She’s lucky to be alive. She says, luck and an assist from Dante. He says he should have warned her the moment he knew Charlotte was targeting her. None of this would have happened. She says, Charlotte was collateral damage in a conspiracy targeted at her, and she apologizes for that, and he says, no, he apologizes. She says she just wanted him to hear it from her, now that this whole sordid business is over, and he asks if they’re sure about that.

Spinelli thanks Maxie for the shower and the spare clothes, and Felicia says, it’s a good thing she still had that box of Max’s spare clothes they were donating to the shelter. They’ve been in the car all week. Maxie says, they came in handy. So is he going to tell her what happened? Felicia says, do tell, and he says, a pipe burst in his apartment and the super was able to shut it off before it affected other units, but not before his was rendered uninhabitable. Maxie asks, what happened to his computers? and he says he was able to salvage most of it and put it in a storage unit. Some of it is still in his trunk. Felicia says, you poor thing, and he says, that’s why he showed up here looking like a drowned rat. He didn’t mean to impose. He just needed a place to dry off. Maxie says, he was coming here for dinner anyway. This was perfect. He says, while he’d love to dine with her, he supposes he should figure out his lodging. The MetroCourt is booked, and all of the other nice places, but he supposes he could venture further out to Sawyer or Greenfield. Maxie says, he’ll do no such thing, but he says, it’s only temporary until he finds another apartment. Maxie says, absolutely not. He’s living here.

As they make cookies, Aiden asks if Elizabeth is upset that Cam decided to go skiing with his new girlfriend this Christmas, and she says she’s not going to lie. She felt a little twinge about it, since obviously she misses him, but she’s not surprised. He seems to really like this girl. Is Aiden upset? He says, it would have been nice to see him, but he gets it. She asks if he feels a little left out now that his brothers have girlfriends, and he says, actually, there’s someone he likes too.

Jake asks if Violet wants to help him make paper snowflakes, and sits on the sofa, putting the supplies on the table. He shows her what to do and says, careful with the scissors. She says she knows how to use scissors, and he asks if she visited Santa. She nods, and he asks if she thinks she’ll get everything she wants this year. She shakes her head, and he puts his arm around her. He says, she doesn’t have to talk about it, but it might help if she does. She says, her daddy is going away.

Trina hugs Spencer and says, he made it. He sets some bags under the tree and says, wow. Trina says she’ll tell him stories about the ornaments. There might be a few she’s made. He says he’d like to see them, and Curtis says, welcome. Spencer thanks him, shaking his hand, and says, nice to see everyone. Miss Henry, Mr. Ashford. Marshall says, young Mr. Cassadine, and shakes his hand. Good to see him. Maybe he and Trina could put some Christmas tunes on. Spencer says, he almost forgot. One of the light strands out front went out. Curtis thanks him, and Portia asks if he knew Spencer was coming over. He says, maybe Trina just forgot to tell them, and she says, welcoming unexpected guests is all part of Christmas, right? He says, she’s entitled to how she feels. Is she sure she wants to start this next year at odds with the young man her daughter loves? She says, right, and puts on a smile.

Marshall goes out on the terrace, and Stella asks what he’s doing out in the cold. He says, she sounds like I… He’s fine. He just needed a moment, that’s all. She asks if he’s okay, and he says he’s beyond okay. Last year, he was surprised to be celebrating the holidays with his son and grandson, and this year, he gets to do it again with a brand-new granddaughter. It’s overwhelming. He never thought he deserved all this, the way he walked out on them. She says, let it go. It’s in the past. He can’t keep beating himself up over it. He says he knows. He had a conversation with Irene just the other night right here. They sit, and he says, Irene told him to count his blessings and get over himself. And he’s not hitting the sauce. She says she talks to her sister all the time. They say death doesn’t end a relationship. She feels Irene’s presence around her just as close as she did when she was helping Irene raise his boys. He says he’s beyond grateful that she took on his family the way she did, and she did a wonderful job. She says, it was her honor and her pleasure, and he says, she always had his back. She bridged the gap between him and Curtis when he came back. She kept his secret. She says, and he bridged the gap between her and Curtis when she didn’t tell him that Trina might be his daughter. She appreciated that. he says, looks like they’ve been there for each other, but she says, unlikely, but true. He says, she’s a special woman, and she says, and he’s a kind and loving man. She’s sorry for all he’s endured, including losing the two women he loved, Irene and Epiphany. He deserves all the happiness he can hold. He says he’s sorry she had to give up the gentleman she was going to marry to look after Irene and his boys, and she says, of course (🍷) she would do what she could for her sister and her nephews. She loved them. She and Irene were two peas in a pod. He says, yes, but she was always the feisty pea, and they laugh. A modern version of Deck the Halls plays, and Stella gets up. She says she loves this song, and Marshall joins her. He says, give him that hand, and they dance. He swings her into his arms, and they look at each other. Aww, I like it.

Marshall steps back and says he’s sorry. He got a little carried away. She says, let’s blame it on the music. You know what? I left the stove on. She runs inside.

Adam tells Josslyn that his parents will ask a million questions about his grades and what courses he’s taking next semester. They’d get in his head. So he told them that he had an internship over winter break. This way, he’ll have more time to get his head straight, and he’ll do better in class come January. Josslyn says, so he lied to them again. This is becoming a pattern with him. He says he panicked. He just didn’t want to disappoint them with his grades. She says, his grades are excellent, but he says, his parents won’t think so. Besides, the flights are way too expensive now. So there’s no way he can go home without telling them the truth and begging them for cash. Trust him. It’s better this way. He hopes they have a good Christmas. He leaves, and Dex says, what was that about? Josslyn says she should invite him over to her mom’s house for Christmas, right? Not to stay over of course (🍷). He can stay here, but just so he’s not alone the whole time. She’ll check with her mom. She takes out her phone.

Doc puts a box under the tree and says, and that is the last of them. Charlotte says she still has unwrapped gifts in her room (I feel that pain), and Doc says, of course (🍷) she does. Charlotte says, maybe after they’re done, they could watch Christina Comes Home for Christmas, and Laura says, there’s no avoiding that one, is there? (See below.) She used to watch that movie with Charlotte’s mom. Charlotte says, that’s why they should watch it together, and Laura says, it’s a movie date then, hugging her. Doc says he guesses it’s time for him to rustle up some movie snacks, and goes to the kitchen. Charlotte says she’ll go get the gifts, and leaves. Laura sits down and looks at photos on her phone. She says, sweet little Lu. You’re daughter’s growing up and she needs you. She’ll find a way to get Charlotte through this. She just wishes they were doing it together.

Charlotte pulls a shopping bag out from under the bed and touches her side. She goes over to the mirror and pulls up her shirt where the bullet wound looks miraculously healed. She says, her first battle wound. She goes to her jewelry box and takes out a locket with the Cassadine crest on it. She puts it on, and says, anything for family, looking at herself in the mirror. Doc walks in.

Anna tells Valentin, Jameson is dead; Brennan is in custody. She believes that she’s no longer in any danger. Besides, she feels as if she did the Bureau a service by rooting out a corrupt director. He says, if she’s hoping for a fruit basket, he wouldn’t hold his breath, and she laughs. She says she’d be happy if they reinstated her pension, interest accrued, and I’m thinking, she has more of a chance of getting the fruit basket. She tells Valentin that she would be remiss in saying there aren’t still enemies out there. He and his family would do well to keep their distance. He says, it’s never stopped him before. He has plenty of enemies. She’s always stood by him. She says, they were a great team.

Outside, Portia tells Curtis, Christmas lights go out, Spencer crashes our family Christmas… bad omen or… Spencer comes out and asks if they need help, but Portia says, they’re good. Spencer says, it is cold outside, and three sets of eyes… Curtis thanks him and says, they’d appreciate that. Spencer says he really hopes they get a chance to get to know each other a little bit better in the next year, and Portia says she’s happy to hear that. As long as he makes Trina happy, they’re happy. He says he definitely intends to make her happy. She loves them both so much, and he loves her. Portia asks what he really knows about love though.

Anna and Valentin almost kiss, but Anna backs away. He asks, what’s wrong? and she says, he already knows, but he tells her that he wants to hear her say it. She says, being here with him is just so easy. Now that all the secrets are out and the dust is beginning to settle, she can feel them again. But she closes her eyes and she’s back in that doorway with the dark apartment and the gun goes off in her hand and Charlotte is crumpled on the floor. They can’t go forward, as much as she loves him, and she does love him. He says, and he loves her, but she says, his responsibility is to his daughter. She’s in so much pain. She has to process this whole trauma of the shooting. Charlotte needs him. Anna can no longer be part of his family.

Charlotte asks if Doc hasn’t heard of knocking, and he says, the door was open. She says, sorry. He just startled her. He apologizes and says he just came to find out if she’d like peppermint or regular hot chocolate. She says, peppermint would be lovely, thanks, and he asks if she wants him to carry that bag of presents for her, but she says she’s got it and thanks him. He says, that’s an interesting necklace, and she says, it’s a family heirloom. It was Helena Cassadine’s. Grandfather Victor left it to her in his will and she was thinking of wearing it, but she doesn’t think it’s giving a Christmas vibe. Doc says he’ll leave her to it, and she closes the door behind him. She leans against it and looks at the necklace. (Do you remember that at the reading of the will, because I don’t.)

Spinelli says he couldn’t impose, but Maxie says she got this house so her family could spread out. He’s family. He can take the guest room. He’ll have plenty of room for his computers. Felicia says, it sounds ideal, but Spinelli says he doesn’t know. Maxie says, it’s not forever, just until his apartment is ready, and Felicia says, he knows how everything closes down during the holidays. He says, okay, but only if he can pay Maxie rent, but Maxie says, no. He’s Georgie’s father. She can’t charge him rent. Besides, he’ll be like free, in-house childcare. He says, Georgie’s care is his blessing, not his burden. That goes for all the kids. Truly, he must insist. Her utilities are going to skyrocket. He uses a lot of electricity and water, and he requires top-speed internet. Maxie sees a shopping bag and says, look. The gifts didn’t get ruined in the flood. Felicia says, they must have been in the car already. It’s a good thing. He says, how fortuitous, taking the bag. Georgie runs in and hugs him. She says, he’s late for their Christmas Eve celebration. Are those for them? Wouldn’t it be great if he could spend the night? That way, they could open it tomorrow morning. Spinelli says he’s not sure about that, and Georgie asks Maxie to convince him.

Jake asks Violet to tell her dad what she just told him. She’s got this. She says she heard him and Uncle Chase last night. It sounded like Finn did something bad. He said Finn was going to court. That’s why people go to jail. Finn says he’s so sorry this has been bothering her all day. He’s not going to jail. She asks, then why has he been so sad? and he says, she’s too perceptive for his own good. He’s been a little sad lately because some people think he made a mistake at work and they’re doing an investigation, but he knows he didn’t do anything wrong, and they’re going to work it out. She asks why he’s going to court, and he says, just to make everything official. That’s the way hospitals do things. She says, so he’s not going away? and he says, not ever. She says, pinkie promise? holding out her finger, and he says, pinkie promise. Just her and him together forever. She tells him, that’s what Jake said, and hugs him. Finn says, Jake’s smart.

Elizabeth says, so Aiden was saying he liked someone? and Aiden says, yeah. She says she’d like to hear more if he wants to tell her, and he says, they’re in his science class. They’re really smart. They got to talking about how there’s a lot of science in baking and they asked him to do some demonstrations for the Science Club. She says, so that’s what he’s been doing after school. They sound really nice. Aiden says, his name is Tobias.

Elizabeth says, the science fair. Did he make the wind turbine? Aiden says, he’s really into the environment, and she says she remembers. She thought he should have won. Aiden says, him too, and hugs her.

Portia tells Spencer that she’s sorry. That completely came out wrong. He says, that’s a good question, and until he met Trina, he wouldn’t have known how to answer it. He realizes he’s made a lot of mistakes, and even though he and Trina are in a better place now, it’s not lost on him what he put her through, and he knows he still has a lot to prove to them. But he will. Because he loves Trina more than anyone else he’s ever loved in his entire life. She makes him want to be so much better, and that means earning their forgiveness. And he hopes eventually their respect and their trust. They don’t say anything, and he plugs in the lights, saying, let there be light. He goes inside and Curtis says, well, what about that? Didn’t what Spencer said move her at all?

Trina says he’s back and he survived, and he says, barely. Her mom is tough. Trina says, she’ll come around, but he says he’s not so sure. She says she loves him for trying, and kisses him.

Maxie tells Georgie that it’s her dad’s choice whether he stays or not, and Georgie says, come on. It’ll be fun. Spinelli says he might stay longer than one night. His apartment is waterlogged, and he has no idea how long it will take to repair it. She says, he’s moving in? and Maxie says, they’re discussing it. Georgie says, what’s to discuss? and Felicia says, her sentiments exactly. Spinelli says, they’re defining terms. To wit, whether or not he’ll be a guest or a tenant. Georgie says, all that matters is that he’ll be here. Please? She’ll be extra good and clean her room. She and James can even cook dinner… Maxie says, they can’t use the stove. Has she been using the stove? Georgie asks if it wouldn’t be nice to have dad here for a little while, and Felicia says, it would be a good deed for her daughter’s father. Maxie says, fine. She’ll agree to his ridiculous deal. Georgie says, yay! and Maxie says, you, little Miss Puppy Dog Eyes, can help me set up the guest room. They leave, and Spinelli says he thinks she bought it, doesn’t Felicia? Felicia says, yeah, and claps her hands together.

Laura asks Doc, what’s wrong? Did something happen with Charlotte? He says, no… When he was in her room, he heard her talking to herself. She’s very proud of her wound; her first battle wound, she called it. Laura says, wow. She’s not the expert here – he is – but could that be a way of her coping with her ordeal? Or maybe she feels victorious because she broke up her father and Anna? Either way, she doesn’t think they should underestimate the damage Victor has done to her. He says, that’s likely and he’ll keep examining this in their sessions. Laura says, she seemed so much like her normal self earlier, and he says, when she’s around Laura, she relaxes. She becomes more herself; she’s spontaneous. In her room just now, she was wearing a necklace that she said Victor left to her in his will. Laura says, that’s Helena’s.

Trina says, these earrings are so gorgeous, and thanks Spencer. He says, of course (🍷). So is she. He hopes she likes them. She says she loves them because they came from him, and they kiss. Portia comes in and asks, who’s ready for their tradition? and Stella asks, what tradition is this? Marshall says he’ll make some more cider, but Stella says, it’s already done. The pot’s warming now. He says, great minds, and Trina says, every year, they make an ornament for the tree. Spencer says he’ll get out of her hair and let her enjoy her family tradition, but Portia asks if he has somewhere more important to be, because he’s on glue gun duty. They gather around the table, and Trina says, merry Christmas Eve everybody. They reply, merry Christmas Eve, even though I don’t think it’s a thing.

Adam knocks at Josslyn’s door, and asks, what’s up? She says, he’s invited to her family’s house for Christmas Eve, the part of her family that’s going to be at her mom’s house. He asks if it’s cool with everybody, and she says, they’d love to have him. Right, Dex? Dex says, the more, the merrier, and Adam says he’ll grab his coat and meet them outside.

Felicia says, Maxie seemed to believe Spinelli. Showing up wet was a bold move. She thought they discussed mold, but he says he wanted to go with a strong visual. Great save with the bag of gifts, by the way. She says she can think on her feet, and he says, yes, she can. This was a really great scheme to help Maxie through her financial struggles. He thanks her for looping him in, and she says, Maxie is too stubborn and proud to accept money without feeling like it’s charity. This way, it’s a win-win. Maxie and Georgie come back, and Georgie says, his room is all ready. She’s really sorry his apartment is under water, but now that he’s staying with them, this is going to be the best Christmas ever. He hugs her and laughs.

Elizabeth says, batch number 3 and 4 in the works, and Aiden thanks her for helping him. She thanks him for trusting her enough to tell her about Tobias. She loves him. He says he loves her too.

Laura asks if Doc thinks Charlotte values the necklace because it was Helena’s, and he says, she seems to be proud of that fact. Laura says, so many people have told her so many things about Helena. Why would she ever want to emulate her? He says, off the top of his head, he would say she’s looking for role models. People she feels are powerful. Survivors. Unfortunately, Helena, Victor – in other words, the darker figures in the family – certainly qualify. She may be using them as a way to cope with her trauma. Laura says, sort of like an emotional crutch. She can’t believe it. All the years she spent worrying about Nikolas, trying to save him from the darkness he inherited from the Cassadines. She never dreamed Charlotte would have to battle the same demons. She can’t lose Charlotte too. She has to find a way to get through to Charlotte. In her bedroom, Charlotte puts on the necklace again and looks in the mirror.

Valentin asks how Anna expects him to let her go. If he’s looked forward to anything in this life, it’s because of her. He doesn’t know where he’d be today without her. She says, he accepted her, all of her. She never felt more seen than when she was with him. She’s very grateful for their time together. He says he’s loved her his whole life. He doesn’t know how he’s going to stop that. She says, then let’s not do that. Let’s just accept that. A part of her will always love him, and he says, a part of him will always love her. She says, if love were enough, they would probably be together, wouldn’t they? But… He says, it’s complicated, and she kisses his hand. She says, there. Let’s call it, okay? With as much respect and dignity as we can. He nods, and pulls her close, holding her as she cries. He says he always knew, if he could ever have her, he could never keep her. She pulls away, still holding his hands, and he says, goodbye, Anna. She says, goodbye, Valentin, and he walks out the door, glancing back one more time before he leaves. She smiles sadly at him, and when he’s gone, she sits down and sighs.

Tomorrow, Lois says she brought enough for everyone; Spinelli wants to know what someone is doing here; Sasha says, someone is completely out of line; and Sonny tells Dante, whoever is targeting him and Anna is still out there.

Sutton meets date Sal at a restaurant, and in her interview, she says, it’s the first date where Alessandra set her up. We flash back to their meeting with Dorit, and Sutton says, a first date is a butterfly moment. He could be the one. He’s tall, handsome, and a gentleman. Sal has promise. We find out Sal is from NYC, but loves L.A. He doesn’t miss the humidity and mosquitos in the east. He sweats a lot in the humidity. He’s lived in L.A. since 1990, but his mom still lives in the house he grew up in. He’s in office supplies, and his mom is 88, so he likes to spend as much time with her as he can. He went to Vegas with his mom, and she told the concierge that they needed something to do. They suggested a show of the old school variety, and it was topless. He’s probably the only person whose mother ever told them, what happens in Vegas… As Sal goes on and on about his mother, in Sutton’s interview, she says, this is a serious red flag. There are too many mother stories for her to handle. She’s still proud of herself for staying. Prior to this, she would have had to leave for an emergency or a hangnail. Even though Sal isn’t right, she’s making progress. Sal says he’s digging her shoes.

Kyle has charcuterie for days and has invited the women over. Arriving first, Annemarie tries to pet Pomeranian Romeo and tries to nip her. She says she’d thought they were having a moment, but Romeo was like, no, we’re not. Dorit comes in and remarks on the miles of charcuterie. Kyle says, it’s Shabbot, and she has so much food. The three of them discuss Sutton’s narrow esophagus, and Annemarie insists she didn’t say anything wrong. Dorit says she doesn’t understand, and lists the oddities she finds with Sutton and food. In Annemarie’s interview, she says she hasn’t known Sutton long, but the inconsistencies are telling, and Sutton gets mad when anyone exposes her. We flash back to Sutton sarcastically asking if they should all go to have her esophagus stretched. Kyle says she’s producing a one-hour drama, and Dorinda asks what else Kyle is doing that she doesn’t know about. Did she get more tattoos? Kyle says she got one more and has six now. Dorit asks if Mauricio has seen it, and Kyle says she showed him, and he was annoyed. We flash back to Mauricio chiding his lovebean, and Kyle tells them that Morgan let her tattoo a K on her. We flash back to that, and in Dorit’s interview, she says, her husband put her name on his arm. Kyle and Morgan must have a really close friendship. Dorit says, Morgan and Kyle have been friends for a year – Kyle says, two years – but Kyle has never put a D on her body.

Garcelle meets Erika at a super cool bar that’s incorporated feathers into its décor, and in Erika’s interview, she says she and Garcelle were friendly at first. then they got on the wrong track, mostly because of her. We flash back to Garcelle telling Erika to respect her kid and Erika apologizing, and Erika says, it will be nice to have drinks. Hopefully they can rekindle something. Erika tells Garcelle, be careful. What you wish for might show up. She’s got the residency in Vegas and now she’ll have to perform. In her interview, Erika says, she’s done nothing like this before. Everything is riding on her. She tells Garcelle, it’s amazing how your life can turn around when you stay in the fight. The best thing she’s done is walk forward, no matter how small the steps may be. In her interview, she says she knows it’s a step in the right direction. Garcelle says, a friend is joining them, and Erika asks if Denise is coming. She knows Denise is coming to Taco Tuesday. We see a clip of Garcelle telling Crystal to invite Denise, and Garcelle says, she’ll see. Sutton walks in, and Erika says she knew this was a set-up. In Garcelle’s interview, she says, she’s bringing Erika and Sutton together. They’re all single women, and when they let everything go, they have a good time. It’s a social experiment. Sutton says, Erika makes her laugh, and Erika says, Sutton makes her frustrated, but it’s okay. Erika says, she almost sent an article about gossip in the South to Sutton. They don’t gossip; they put you on their prayer list. She needs to put Denise on her prayer list. Denise needs to stop and give up her four-year beef. Garcelle says, Denise wasn’t clear on her issues. She saw Denise afterwards. We flash back to their lunch with Sutton, and Garcelle says she thinks Denise is holding on to something she wants to get out. Erika says, with what happened to her in the last few years, she took a beating with public scrutiny. At some point, she had to say she’d turned the page. She didn’t want to go there with Denise. Garcelle wonders what’s going to happen on Taco Tuesday, and Erika says, they’re going to have a nice time. She’ll be ready for what walks through the door. Sutton says she’s scared because Lent is over, and they drink a lot of vodka. Erika says, it’s $7 for a naked bundle of Denise on OnlyFans, and Sutton asks if Denise is really naked. Erika says, it started as porn, and in Garcelle’s interview, she says, she can do better than that. How about $10?  

Kyle FaceTimes with Annemarie who’s in Hawaii. Kyle says she’s so jealous. She’s getting ready for Taco Tuesday. Denise and Erika will be there, and she doesn’t know what’s going to happen. While she gets ready, Sutton tells her glam team about Denise on OnlyFans, buys the bundle, and gives Denise a tip. She says she hopes she doesn’t find anything real bad… oh! She doesn’t want to know. Garcelle picks up Denise, whose in-laws are visiting for year and a half. Garcelle tells Denise that Erika will want to hear her laundry list of complaints, and in Garcelle’s interview, she says, it’s only right for her to tell Denise what Erika said. They need to put this thing to bed. Kyle and Dorit ride together, and Dorit asks why she didn’t know what Kyle’s been doing. She guesses she has to put Kyle’s initial on her body for her to care. In Dorit’s interview, she says she genuinely feels hurt that Kyle has distanced herself. They used to go away a few times year, but Kyle hasn’t invited her on any trips. In Kyle’s interview, she says she hasn’t been reaching out because she felt disappointed in Dorit. We flash back to the Reunion and Dorit telling Kathy that Kyle wants her to accept responsibility, and Kyle saying, this is something that should be discussed in private. Kyle says, when they’re alone, Dorit feels bad. She’s supportive and on Kyle’s side. But when they’re all together, it’s a different tune. That doesn’t feel like a friend. Kyle tells Dorit that people don’t understand her and Morgan’s friendship, and Dorit says, Kyle is morphing into Morgan. In her interview, Dorit says, much of who Kyle has become is who Morgan is. She doesn’t just feel excluded, she feels like she’s been replaced.

Crystal gets ready for Taco Tuesday, and in her interview, she says, there’s nothing she likes more than hosting a dinner. She always has too much left over. It’s a classic Asian culture thing. If your table is empty, that means the guests go home hungry. You’re a bad host if you don’t have an abundant table full of food and lots of to-go boxes. Friend Nia and Dorit arrive first, and in Dorit’s interview, she says she’s always surprised at how many friends Crystal has. She knows it’s that number minus 14, but still… They talk about Vegas, and Nia says, her husband, comedian Bill Burr, performs there. Dorit says, when they were at Magic Mike, one of the girls had a meltdown, and Nia wonders how that’s possible in the happiest place on earth.  

Denise arrives, with Erika coming not much later. In Erika’s interview, she says she’s cold and irritable, and who’s here but Denise, the last person she wants to see. Denise tell Dorit that when she got home from the weed dinner from hell, she had a fever of 103, and in Dorit’s interview, she tells us, if you say so. We flash back the upside-down jacket, and Dorit says, a fever – she mimics drinking – nothing else. She’s buying it. Kim comes in and it’s time to eat. Dorit tells Sutton that she didn’t try to poach Avi, and we flash back, seeing that she clearly did. Dorit says, stop accusing her of doing things she’s not doing, and Sutton says, stop accusing her of putting vodka in her coffee. She doesn’t drink coffee. Case closed. Dorit says, it wasn’t an accusation, and Erika says, they had a great night with Garcelle the other night. They laughed a lot. Dorit whines that she’s hearing about a fabulous night where she wasn’t invited, and Erika says, Garcelle told on Sutton about making out with her driver.

Crickets chirp, then Garcelle says, Oh my God, and Erika realizes how loud she said it. Sutton says, accidentally maybe she did, and in Sutton’s interview, she says, sometimes you find yourself with someone handsome and charming, who says sit in the front seat. Then you lean in at the same time and accidentally kiss. She tells them, it was a make out session like in Happy Days. Dorit says, she’s taking something sexy and making it as unsexy as she can possibly make it. Kyle finds a tissue in Kim’s scarf, and in Kyle’s interview, she says she doesn’t know what Kim has stored in her scarf. Snacks? A phone charger? A small kitten? She doesn’t know what she’ll find. Dorit tells Garcelle that she’s annoyed about Crystal drumming up sh*t, and in Dorit’s interview, she says, Crystal doesn’t say much, but when she does, she’s either talking behind someone’s back or stirring the pot. We flash back to forever ago when Crystal claimed Sutton said something dark. Dorit says, at least if you stir the pot, balance it with something else. She tells Garcelle that she’s ripped about it. She’s finding a moment to discuss it with Crystal where it’s not out of left field. Sutton says, her horse is has moved in to his final apartment and tells them about Santos. She says she has a language with him, and Kim says she talks to animals too; she understands them. Nia asks, what happened in Vegas at Magic Mike? and Sutton says she didn’t like the legs spread with the man’s head in between. Denise asks, who was spreading their legs? and Sutton says, Erika and Crystal. She doesn’t know why she has to explain herself. Some people don’t like mustard, but you don’t ask them why 80 times. She wasn’t in a good headspace and ruined the whole night. Thanks for asking. She appreciates it. Garcelle asks how Nia knew about it, and we flash back to five seconds ago when Dorit told her. Nia tells Garcelle that she playfully said, how can you have a meltdown in the happiest place on earth? and Sutton says, it’s not Disneyland. In Sutton’s interview, she says, who is Nia and why is this story relevant to their Mexican fiesta? Dorit says, Sutton had dollar bills she was flashing around and laughing, and Sutton says, it was a joke. Everyone knows it’s the last thing that would really happen. Dorit says, Sutton made out with her driver, and everyone’s like, what? Garcelle says, hold on. That was between her, Erika, and Sutton. Dorit is saying it to embarrass Sutton and that’s not okay. Dorit says, they were laughing, and Sutton says, her driver has become a friend. Dorit says she’s not judging, and Sutton says, she was attracted, and they were having a conversation. They had a little make out session and it was sweet. She enjoyed it, but they haven’t made out since. Why is Dorit bringing it up? Dorit babbles, and Sutton says, answer the questions. She goes into name ‘em mode, and keeps saying, answer the question, which pisses Dorit off royally. A few of the women are in the kitchen listening, and Kyle says, it feels like déjà vu. Dorit says she’s trying to answer. She just found out five minutes ago. Why do they think she mentioned it? It was in jest; they were all laughing about it. Garcelle says, it felt like Dorit was saying it to embarrass Sutton, and Sutton says, she was. Dorit says, Sutton should give people the benefit of the doubt, and Garcelle asks who people are. Dorit says, her, in this instance, and in her interview, she wonders why it’s okay for Erika to scream it. It’s just another reason for Garcelle to take issue with her. If Garcelle doesn’t like her, stop pretending she does. Garcelle apologizes to Sutton and say she didn’t know Dorit would bring it up. Dorit says, Garcelle just attacked her, and Garcelle says she didn’t. Calm down. In Garcelle’s interview, she says. Dorit lives in a bubble, and it’s triggering. They live in a world that’s aware and woke, but Dorit isn’t in that world. Garcelle says, for the record, she didn’t attack Dorit. They were having a conversation. Dorit says, it felt like an attack. Garcelle was suggesting she was deliberately trying to hurt and embarrass Sutton. Garcelle says she wasn’t suggesting it; she said it. And it wasn’t an attack. She feels like for Dorit and her privilege, she can’t.

Dorit asks what she means, and Erika says, she means that for white people, the word has a different meaning. In Erika’s interview, she says, there’s a different meaning to the word attack when a white person says it to a Black person. She doesn’t think Dorit meant to hurt Garcelle, but she did. Dorit says she’s sorry she triggered a nerve and offended Garcelle. She’d love to have a conversation about it. Garcelle says, she’s good. She’s not here to educate Dorit. Dorit says she thinks Garcelle has, and Garcelle says, that’s on her. In her interview, Dorit says she has no idea where this is coming from. All Garcelle needs to say is, a word triggers her, and she’d immediately understand, apologize, and definitely not use the word again in the future. Crystal comes back in and wants a download. Sutton says, Dorit announced she made out with her driver, and asks where Kyle has been. Kyle says, conspiring in the kitchen, and Dorit says she’s glad Crystal joined the conversation. Sutton said Crystal told her that she accused Sutton of putting vodka in her coffee. We flash back to Dorit saying that, and Crystal says she’s happy to talk about it, and Dorit says she doesn’t want to get it wrong. Denise says, apparently, she did already, and Sutton says she knows her life, what she’s accomplished, and what she’s going to accomplish. And she knows what she can’t do to accomplish it. So continue to chatter. She’s moving forward at a rapid speed. In mean girl Kyle’s interview, she parodies Sutton, saying, if I have a drinking problem, I couldn’t say accomplish so many times. Denise says she thinks it came off as judgmental, and Dorit asks if Denise cleared up the thing with Erika. Denise says, which thing? and Dorit asks if they’ve had a chat. Erika says, they haven’t, and in Erika’s interview, she says, how dare Dorit give her that hot potato? She doesn’t want to fight with Denise, but okay. Dorit asks if Denise has anything to say, and Denise asks if Dorit has anything to say, but Dorit says she doesn’t have the issue. Denise suggests she bring it down a notch then, and Dorit says she’s going to see the husband she hasn’t seen in week, and runs away from the situation of her own making, saying, she’s so ready to go home. Denise asks if Erika wants to have a conversation, but Erika says she doesn’t. Denise had a chance at the dinner party. She came in with an agenda, called Erika a bitch, and Erika apologized sincerely. What was Denise upset about? Denise says, to insinuate her daughters at 14 had a threesome is beyond inappropriate. Erika says, children who have a phone have access to everything and they know what it is. Denise’s oldest daughter is on OnlyFans, and she doesn’t know? Denise says, that’s a low blow, and Erika says, Denise came in slurring and inarticulate, and wanted to call her a bitch, then pretend it didn’t happen. Does Denise think she won’t go as low as she can? Did she think Erika wouldn’t go to OnlyFans? Has Denise met her? Denise says, Erika is a mean woman, and Erika says, Denise asked for it. Denise says she didn’t, and Erika says, then don’t come to Kyle’s house acting like a bitch over something that happened 4 years ago that no one remembers. Denise says she thinks Erika is mean, and Erika says she thinks it’s great. But tell her, who’s more profitable, her or Sami?

General Hospital

Curtis and Stella sit in Kelly’s, and Stella tells Curtis that she appreciates him sitting down with her, despite their conversation the other day. He says he was angry, but he loves her; she’s family. Nothing will ever change that. But she has to stop inserting herself in his relationships. Trina walks in and Curtis asks if she’d care to join them.  

At the hospital, Jordan tells an officer that they’re going to do another sweep of the subbasement. The Bureau knows their stuff when it comes to criminals like Peter, but she’d put her money on their forensics team any day of the week. Portia walks over and asks if Jordan has time for coffee. Jordan says she’s sorry, she can’t, and Portia says she’s sure Jordan is busy with the Peter August investigation, but when she comes up for air, maybe they can get together. Jordan says she’s sorry. She can’t do this. She knows Portia and Curtis kissed.

Sonny walks into the Tan-O where Nina is polishing glasses. She says she didn’t expect him to be back so soon, and he says he didn’t expect to see her so soon. She says she asked Phyllis for a spare set of keys. The least she could do is open this place up. Sonny says, it  looks like she belongs there.

Chase hoists himself up, and stands. He says, yes. Now how about a step? He takes a step forward, and Austin sees him.  

The doorbell rings as Willow goes to get Wiley, and she yells that she’s got it. She opens the door to Harmony, who says Willow looks wonderful. Jason asks if everything is okay, because it takes 16 people to answer the door, and Willow asks what Harmony is doing there. Harmony says she came to see her grandson on his birthday, and Wiley smiles. Two things. When did Harmony start wearing such frumpy looking shoes (which is all we saw on Friday)? and I thought things were left on a good note with her and Willow.

Portia says she’s so sorry, but Jordan says Portia didn’t do anything wrong. She and Curtis are getting a divorce. She’s just exhausted. It’s been a long day, and she doesn’t have it in her to be anything but honest about how she’s feeling. Portia says, of course (🍷); she gets it. She wasn’t sure how to go about this either; how to talk to Jordan about it. She was hoping they’d chat before Jordan and Curtis spoke. She asks when he told Jordan, but Jordan says, he didn’t. She saw them together.

Trina tells Curtis that she doesn’t want to interrupt. She was picking up food before meeting her mom at the hospital. Stella says Trina isn’t interrupting anything. They were finished, and she has an errand to run. She hugs Curtis and leaves. Curtis says Portia mentioned that she told Trina about them. He has time if she wants to talk. She tells him, like she said, she can’t stay. He asks if she’s sure. It looks like there’s something on her mind.

Nina wonders if Lenny is out of surgery, but Sonny says Phyllis wanted him to tend bar, and not sit and wait with her. Nina says, it’s one less thing for her to worry about, and he says she also knows he’ll try to stop her from micromanaging the staff. Nina asks if there’s any indication of how serious Lenny’s condition may be, but Sonny says, they have to assess the growths on the pancreas before they can figure out what stage the cancer is in. Nina says, if it’s cancer, and Sonny says, yeah. Phyllis is hopeful thanks to Nina. Nina says she doesn’t know if it’s a blessing or a curse.

Harmony goes over to Wiley, and says, this must be the birthday boy. He’s gotten so big. Michael asks Brook to take Wiley to the den, and as she leaves with Wiley, Harmony says she can’t believe Wiley is three already. Willow says she can’t believe a lot of things, and Michael asks the crowd of looky-loos to give them a minute alone. Harmony say she’s sure they have questions, and Willow says, just one. Why did she come back now?

Curtis pulls out a chair for Trina and she sits. He says, maybe he’s wrong, but he thought they buried the hatchet after everything that went down with her dad. She says, they did. There’s nothing major; she’s happy for them. He wonders why he’s sensing she’s anything but happy. This thing between him and her mother is new. That’s the reason he wanted the two of them to start off on the right foot. She says, is it though? New? He asks what she means, and she says she wants to make sure that he and the Commissioner were over by time he and her mom got together. He asks what would make her think they weren’t, and she flashes back to seeing Portia help Curtis take off his wedding ring.

Portia says, Jordan saw them? and Jordan says, at The Savoy on opening night. It doesn’t matter why she was there. It was late, and things were winding down… Portia says, and she saw them kissing. She’s sorry. That has to be the worst possible way to find something like this out. Jordan says she wasn’t expecting to get an official memo, but she was caught off-guard. Portia says, of course (🍷) it did. Curtis wanted to tell Jordan himself that he was seeing someone. Jordan says she knew the two of them had kissed, but she didn’t know they were actually a couple now.

Sonny asks Nina how hope can be a curse, and she says Lenny made it sound like she was setting Phyllis up for a fall. Can she trust him to keep something between them? He says, all she has to do is ask, and she says, Lenny’s hesitation had less to do with cost, and more about giving Phyllis false hope. The outcome of pancreatic cancer is often bleak. He says, often isn’t always, and she tells him, she said the same thing to Lenny. He made her promise that if they ran out of options, things they can do for him, she would do what she could to get Phyllis to recognize that. He asks if she thinks she can keep that promise, but she says she doesn’t know. Sometimes hope is the only thing that gets you through. It did for her. The hope that she’d meet her daughter kept her going for years, and she wouldn’t change it for anything. Although she knows the outcome of the search, she would have never had her grandson in her life. He says, usually when she speaks about Wiley, she has a happy smile on her face, but right now, it’s sad. She says, it’s his birthday today, and Sonny asks if they’re having a party. She says, yeah. She’s missing him.

Carly says she knew today would be full of surprises for Wiley, but she didn’t expect Harmony to be one of them. Valentin says normally, he makes a habit of studying those in his orbit, and Carly says, of course (🍷) he does. He says he has to admit to knowing next to nothing about Willow’s family history. Why was she upset when her mother showed up? Carly says, because Harmony forced Willow to join a cult where she got pregnant with the cult leader’s baby. Call her crazy, but that’s probably the reason.

Harmony says she’s tried to explain this to Willow, and Willow says, try again. Harmony says her legal situation is complicated. She testified against Shiloh, but she also pled guilty, which makes her release and parole… Willow says, forget the legal situation. Why today? (Has everyone gone stupid?) Harmony says, because Willow is her daughter, and as horrifically as she messed up, she wants to rebuild. Willow says Harmony didn’t answer her question, and Harmony says, because it’s a day for family. She was hoping that if she reached out today, Willow would be receptive. She just wants to make things better between them. Chase wheels himself in, Austin behind him, and asks if Willow invited Harmony, but Willow says, it was a surprise visit. Chase says Harmony honestly thought this was a good idea? Because as soon as you move into the Quartermaine mansion, something takes over your brain, and you can’t stay out of other people’s business.

Portia tells Jordan that she’s the absolute worst at this. She’s going to stop talking. Jordan says Portia doesn’t owe her anything, but Portia says, doesn’t she? She knows they had their issues in the beginning, but it meant a lot to her that they could be friends. Jordan says, it meant a lot to her too, and Portia say she hates that she’s a part of hurting Jordan, but Jordan says she’s not. She and Curtis ended because of them; it had nothing to do with Portia. Portia supposes it’s a pipe dream, thinking they can keep their friendship, and Jordan doesn’t see how that could work out. At least not right now. She gets in the elevator, and says, for what it’s worth (🍷) she just wants what’s best for Curtis, and if Portia makes him happy, and the two of them are honest with each other, then she and Portia are good. The doors close.

Trina tells Curtis, sorry, and asks if that was completely inappropriate. He says, nothing inappropriate about it. It’s something they have in common. To answer her question, he and Jordan were long separated before he started anything with her mom. She says, cool, and notices her order is ready. She thanks Curtis, and he asks, for what? She says, it feels good knowing him and her mom weren’t sneaking around.

Sonny says, it’s a good thing Nina was invited, and she says, it’s a great thing. She sees it as an olive branch, and it means more to her than she can say. But she’s started to question if what she’s doing is the right thing. He asks if she means being in Nixon Falls. Go back. Take the next commuter plane, and go there; join the party. There’s nothing she can do there for Phyllis in the next couple of days. She says the party is almost over and she’ll find time to be with Wiley. She wants to be there for Lenny and Phyllis… and for him. She puts her hand on his, and says, she knows how close he and Lenny have gotten in the past few months. He says he doesn’t want her to worry about him, but she says, it’s too late.  She loves her grandson, but she has enough room in her heart for him too. He’s got to know that. He says he does and kisses her.

Jason says, Harmony was a member of a cult called Dawn of Day, and Valentin says he’s heard of them. Jason says, she was infatuated with the leader, Shiloh. Willow’s father eventually left the cult, and tried to get her to leave too, and Shiloh had him killed. Carly says, and made it look like a suicide, and Valentin says, Willow didn’t know anything about it? Jason says, not until after she was forced to sleep with the guy, and Valentin asks if she was raped. Jason says, pretty much (pretty much? what does that mean?), and Carly says, he would drug the girls so they would be foggy about what was happening. Valentin says, girls plural; so this was a pattern? Carly says it was, and he asks how she knows so much about this. She says, Sonny’s daughter Kristina was one of the girls, and Jason says, Kristina wanted to join the cult. She was ready to offer herself up to Shiloh, and that’s when her family had to intervene. In the fallout, they realized Shiloh had to be taken down, and the person who made that possible is Harmony.

Chase asks what Harmony is doing there, and she says it was her grandson’s birthday, so she thought… He says, she thought wrong, totally overstepping his bounds in someone else’s house. He says, first, she causes her daughter unbearable pain, then the second she gets out of Pentenville, she’s playing messenger with Cyrus Renault. She says she wanted nothing to do with Cyrus; he forced her. Michael says Chase might not be aware of this. He only knows because Jason was somewhat involved, but Cyrus threatened Willow. That’s how he got Harmony to cooperate. Harmony says she was protecting her daughter, and Chase says, that would be a first. (Seriously. Hello? Where has this guy been that he knows zero about this?) Harmony says she’ll never make excuses for anything she did, but she loves her daughter. What she was trying to explain is, she came there today because she thought it would be a good time to reach out, and hopefully mend fences, or move in that direction at least. Chase – who doesn’t live there – tells her that she has to get out now, and she says, that’s it? He’s just going to order her out of there? He says, that’s right, and Michael finally wakes up and remembers he’s the one who lives there, saying, he knows it’s been a shock and they need time to process. It’s Willow’s call, but she doesn’t have to make the decision right now. Harmony says the last thing she wants to do is cast a shadow on today, but she’s here. The next time she’ll text, and she hopes they can see each other really soon. She puts Wiley’s gift on the table, and leaves. Chase tells Willow not to let Harmony get to her. Today is going to be a great day. It’s party time. He doesn’t know about them, but he saw some birthday cupcakes he can’t wait to eat. Willow says, her too, and remembers she left one of Wiley’s presents at the gatehouse. She’s going to go grab it. Chase says he’d go with her, but it would just slow her down. She leaves, and Austin says he thinks he needs a history lesson; he’s not entirely sure what’s going on. Chase wonders how that psycho can just show up and do that to Willow.

Willow goes into the gatehouse, and leans on the door, hyperventilating. She flashes back to Chase telling her about Jonah – who they’d thought was Wiley – dying, and how Brad found him. She sits down, puts her head in her hands and cries.

Jason says, Harmony had to confront everything she’d done wrong, almost destroying her daughter’s life. She figured the only thing she could do for Willow was step up and take the stand. She did. She took responsibility for everything and went to jail in the process. Carly says, which she absolutely deserved, and Jason tells her, he’s not saying she didn’t. He’s not defending her actions, but as much as anyone could make amends for those kinds of mistakes, he thinks Harmony did. And Harmony helped fend off Nelle when she resurfaced. She did everything in her power to let Michael keep his claim on Wiley. Monica says, obviously, it’s all up to Willow, but she thinks Harmony did something really horrible. Carly says, some things horrible, but Monica says, that she tried to make up for, not unlike a lot of people who’ve taken shelter under this roof. She looks at Valentin. Carly says, there’s also the Cyrus thing, and Valentin asks if she was in league with Cyrus. Jason says, unwillingly. They met in prison, and Cyrus threatened Willow to get Harmony to cooperate, but it’s like Monica said, it’s up to Willow, and she’s well within her rights not to want anything to do with her mom. Valentin says, she sincerely wants to make amends? and Jason says, she wants to make things right. Sometimes that works, and sometimes you just have to accept you can’t fix it. No matter how bad you want to. Jason gets up and says he’d love to stay for the party, but he can’t. He asks Carly to tell Michael and Willow; he doesn’t want to interrupt. Carly says she’s going to stick around a while, but she’ll walk Jason out, and Valentin says he’ll check on Bailey. Monica thanks Jason for coming, and says she wishes it had been more of a celebration. He says he’ll talk to her later, and she says she’ll hold him to it.

Sonny says, as much as he likes that Nina is there, she doesn’t have to stay for him. He can handle things himself. She says she knows that more than he realizes, but just because you can do something on your own, doesn’t mean you have to. He asks if he can be honest with her, and says Lenny getting sick hit him hard. When they were in the hospital in New York City, he felt this familiar pain, like a memory. Lenny went to do some tests and he went out in the hall. He saw this hat on the ground; he guesses a patient left it. He picked it up, and he was hit with a flash; not a whole memory, but the feeling that he was saying goodbye to someone. He was letting go. It really felt like he was remembering his family.

Still at Kelly’s, Curtis calls Portia, but gets voicemail. Before he can leave a message, Jordan walks in. She says she’s glad she ran into him. She’s signed the divorce papers and they’re in the mail. It shouldn’t be long now. He says, as long as they understand each other, there’s no rush. She says she heard he and Portia have started to see each other.

Portia sees she missed a call from Curtis, and smiles. Stella asks if she has a minute, and Portia says, that depends. Is Stella there to pass judgement on her character again? Stella says, one of the perks of getting to a certain age is that you can pass all the judgement you want, and no one bats an eye… That was a joke. It was never her intention to make an enemy out of Portia. Believe it or not, all she wanted was for Portia and Curtis not to get hurt. She can’t help but worry it will end up that way if the two of them pursue this relationship. Portia asks why Stella would think that, and Stella flashes back to putting the envelope with Jordan’s divorce papers in her bag. She tells Portia, she has it on good authority that Curtis’s marriage isn’t over just yet.

On the terrace, Carly says when Jason was talking about fixing the damage and not being able to, he was talking about Britt. He says, it is what it is. It’s a whole set of circumstances that none of them asked for. First it was Sonny, then their territory was vulnerable, then he got arrested – she says, because Cyrus and Peter set him up – then the escape went wrong, and he couldn’t make the meeting of the Five Families mushroom risotto, and she did. She stepped up, but she also made herself a target. Them getting married is to protect the family, to protect each other. He’s choosing that, but it comes at a cost… for both of them, he knows that. She says he’s right; it does come at a cost. She knows it’s really tough for Britt because she doesn’t know all the reasons, and he says, he doesn’t want to talk about it. She says, but… and he says, but what? She’s still going to talk about it? She says he’s blaming himself for something that’s unavoidable, but it’s not his fault. He says, it doesn’t matter if it was his fault or not. Britt got hurt, and he’s the one who hurt her.

Valentin asks Brook how it’s going, and she says she and Wiley are drawing up a storm. She tells Wiley that Bailey’s going to love the picture he made her. Speaking of, did Valentin check on their Sleeping Beauty? He says he did; still sleeping, still beautiful. She asks, what’s going on in there? and he says, it’s a long, convoluted, and very sad story, but ultimately, Willow’s mother did something really terrible, and she wants to make amends for it. Brook asks if he thinks she can, but he doesn’t know. He’s never met the woman, and it’s the first he’s heard of it. It’s very easy for him to empathize, because the only thing worse than realizing you did something really terrible, is when you do something really terrible that hurts your child. She says he’s a great dad, but he says he wasn’t always that way. She says Charlotte worships him, and he says he and Charlotte’s mother Lulu fought mercilessly. They were in and out of court for years. It was an enormous strain on Charlotte to go back and forth. Court ordered visitations, social workers, and psychologists. She was caught in the middle. He never would have wanted to do that to her, but he made life so difficult. He stole time from her that she could have spent with her mother, getting to know Lulu. He doesn’t know if shell get a second chance at that, and he doesn’t know how one makes amends for that. She says it looks like he really turned his life around, at least as a father, and he says there was a moment where he realized if he didn’t change he was going to lose Charlotte, so he decided to be a better dad for Charlotte, and now Bailey cahr and bail most important things in his world. Brook tells Wiley that he’s so important to Michael and Willow, and Valentin says, they’re not the only ones. There’s someone suspiciously missing from this party. Brook says, who? and Valentin says, someone special who’s really going to enjoy talking to Wiley

Nina says, Sonny is remembering family? Anyone in particular? He says the only flashes he’s had are the blond woman in his dream, which he believes is her, and this one. She says, so he was saying goodbye to someone, and he says, the pain is real. What if he doesn’t want to remember his past because the people who love him woudn’t be there? Or his family, if he had one, is gone? She doesn’t say anything, and he asks if she’s all right. She nods, and he says, those are the few unknowns, right? She says, yeah, and he tells her that he has to open. He’s going to get cleaned up. He goes upstairs, and she asks herself, what is she doing? Her phone rings, and it’s Brook. Nina asks if something happened with the Deception deal, but Brook says, it’s nothing about work. She’s there with Wiley at his birthday party, and he wanted to say hello. Nina says she’d love to talk to Wiley, and Brook suggests she put her video camera on so Wiley can see her face.

Chase tells Austin, he feels so useless. Willow is upset, and he can’t even go to her without somebody helping him navigate this thing. Austin says, they both know that’s not true. He saw Chase in the den, standing on his own two feet, and he took a step or two. Great job, man. Chase says that’s about all he can do; a step or two, and wobbly ones. Austin asks if Willow knows, but Chase says he was hoping to make more progress before he told her. Austin says, after the surprise Willow just got, she could use a happy surprise, wobbly or not. Go to the gatehouse. Show her some steps. Give her something to smile about. Chase says he can’t walk that far by himself, and Austin supposes not. Good thing he has a doctor to lean on.

Michael goes to the gatehouse, and Willow quickly gets herself together, saying, she realized she still had to wrap the gift and couldn’t find the stupid tape. She asks if Wiley is upset, but Michael says he’s around people who love him. take as much time as she needs. She says, it’s just tape, and he says, it’s more than that. He knows how hard it’s been on her today. Whole she’s celebrating the day of Wiley’s birth, she’s also marking the anniversary of her baby’s death. It’s a lot all at once. Nobody blames her for having to take a minute. She says she was already all over the place, and she opened that door and her mom was there. She’s grieving, thinking about how she only got to hold him the one time, and there’s Harmony, the reason he even existed. She loved him so much. That doesn’t mean she loves Wiley any less, but Jonah was hers, and now he’s gone. She doesn’t know how to feel about any of it. He says, today was a hard day, and to have her mom show up on top of it… She says she wants to be happy, laugh, sing, help Wiley blow out his candles. All of a sudden, she couldn’t, so she came there to wrap a present that doesn’t exist. She’s telling him she can’t find the tape when it’s right there, because it’s not fair to anyone, especially Wiley, to see her grieve. He says, it is fair, and even if it wasn’t, it’s how she feels. That makes it real. He takes her hands, says, that’s what matters, and they hug. And then they kiss.

Jordan tells Curtis, Portia didn’t betray his trust. She figured it out for herself, and it’s okay. He says, it is? and she says her biggest motivation for signing the divorce papers was the realization that he was moving on with his life. They’re not together anymore, and it’s mostly her fault. The last thing she wants to do is hold him back now that he wants to move on. He asks if she woudn’t have signed the papers if she thought he hadn’t been ready to move on.

Portia tells Stella, she understands that the divorce papers haven’t been processed yet. That’s one of the many reasons she and Curtis decided to take things slow. If Stella has any more concerns, it’s best she speak to her nephew about them. Stella says, there’s no such thing as half divorce, and Portia says, meaning? Trina comes up the hall toward them, but they don’t see her. Stella says, meaning, don’t jump in head first. She doesn’t want to be the other woman in Curtis’s marriage, the way Portia made him the other man in hers. Trina is like, whoa.

Jason asks Carly to tell Wiley happy birthday again, and starts to leave. She says he’s way more optimistic about this Harmony thing than she is, and he asks if she’s worried. She says, isn’t he? and he says he wants to find out what she’s been up to. If it’s her family drawing her there, that’s great, but if she’s in trouble and susceptible to blackmail, it’s best they find out now.

Nina tells Brook that she doesn’t have a lot of time right now. Maybe Brook could just get Wiley on the phone and she could tell him happy birthday and that she loves him. Brook says she thinks it’s important that Wiley see Nina’s face. Things were tense there earlier and he could use a grandma pick-me-up. Nina goes over by the window, and Wiley and Brook show up on her screen. Wiley says hi, and Nina asks if he got the forklift she sent. Sonny comes in, and asks if that’s Nina’s grandson and Nina nods. Brook says, Wiley hasn’t opened his gifts yet. Brook goes on about the gifts, when Carly walks in and asks who Wiley is talking to. She comes into the frame as Sonny moves closer to Nina.

Austin helps Chase into the gatehouse. No one is there, and Chase calls to Willow. She doesn’t hear him because she and Michael are getting busy upstairs.

Tomorrow, Portia tells Stella not to go one step near her daughter, Josslyn tells Cameron that it’s more of a no thing, Austin suggests Willow is upstairs, and Sonny asks if he can see Wiley.

🤧 Not So Hot…

I promise Below Deck Med will be posted tomorrow, so the epic Lexi tirade will be done justice, but right now my allergies have me down. It looks like I’ll be needing some antibiotics. In the meantime, I’ve got to get some sleep, so stay safe, stay well, and stay not pretending to wrap a fake gift. It will only get you in trouble.

What I Watched Today

General Hospital

I’ve consistently missed the beginning of the show every day this week, so why end the week any differently? <sigh> Sonny is taking Mike for a walk in the hallway, Molly has shown up to confront Jordan about TJ, and Doc pays Cyrus a visit.

On the phone Robert says, there’s nothing to be happy about, but the law doesn’t give them many choices. Laura says, that didn’t sound good, and he says, the information is going to be sent to Cyrus’s lawyers, who will ask for a writ of habeas corpus. Then a judge will look at it, and Cyrus walks. Laura says, that’s completely unacceptable. She won’t have that monster roaming free on the streets of Port Charles. He asks how she plans to stop him, and she says, watch her.

Sonny tells Mike, he’s got him, and Carly says they can come back. Brando says he just wanted to thank Mike for the summer at the track. He was ten years old, and obsessed with horses. Mike told him it ran in the family. Carly says, that sounds like Mike, and Mike says, Brando. Glady’s son. He remembers. Is Brando passing through? Carly says, Sonny is helping Brando open a garage in Port Charles. Mike says, good, and Sonny says, Brando is a nice guy. Brando says it was nice of Mike, and Mike says he appreciates him stopping by. He’s a little tired, so can Brando come by again some other time? Brando says he’d like that, and Carly tells Mike to get some rest. They’ll be there. Sonny walks Mike back to his room, and says it was a nice surprise visit. Mike says he doesn’t know Brando.

Curtis gets that Molly is upset, but it’s out of their hands. It’s time to accept it’s out of hers. TJ is a grown man, and taking time for himself. If the situations were reversed, TJ would respect her privacy. Molly says she’d make sure someone got a message to TJ, and not completely shut him out. Curtis says they don’t like how TJ is handling it, but it’s time they were all patient. She says she’s done being patient. TJ completely ghosted her, and is ignoring her texts and calls. She knows he’s disappointed, but this is vindictive and mean. Jordan says they don’t know where he is, and Molly says TJ is responding to Jordan, and asks if she’ll give him a message. She’s tired of the cold shoulder. They’re better than this, and they need to talk. Jordan says she’ll give TJ a message, but can’t guarantee when he’ll get back to Molly. Molly says Jordan knows how much she loves TJ, and Jordan says, she does, but right now, love isn’t enough. Molly says she’ll give TJ 24 hours, and then she’ll start a search herself. She’ll get Sam and Spinelli to help, and she’ll take out an ad in The Invader; have you seen this man? Jordan tells her to stop acting like a child.

On the phone, Laura tells someone she wants it as soon as possible. Robert asks if she’s going to keep him in suspense, or tell him. She says she’ll tell him when the time is right, and he says he hates being blindsided. She says Mac is out following leads on the warehouse and waterfront shootings, hoping they find something that ties it into Cyrus. Robert says, it’s more likely they won’t be able to, and Laura saysm the goal is to keep Cyrus locked up long enough to find evidence to make the charges stick. He says, suppose she succeeds? They know Cyrus can run his operation from behind bars. Laura says she told him that she wants to keep Cyrus locked up, but not in Pentenville.

Cyrus says, they brought in a shrink to get inside his head? Let him help Doc. No, he didn’t like to pull the wings off of flies. Doc says, but he did it anyway? Cyrus says they both know that’s not what he means, and Doc asks, what does he mean? Cyrus asks if this is how it’s going to go, and Doc says Cyrus’s first impulse was to insist he didn’t do something he thought Doc might ask about. Why that specific question? Cyrus says it’s what people like him ask, and Doc says, people like him; psychiatrists? Cyrus says, no, Methodists. I see we have another comedian behind bars. Doc says he’s interviewed many criminals like Cyrus, and Cyrus says, everyone wants to see what makes him tick. Why is that? Doc says he read Cyrus’s file. Cyrus says, and Doc has a fascination with him. Doc says, not necessarily fascination, and Cyrus says, but at least a healthy interest. He’s sure Doc has somewhere else he could be, but here he is. Doc says Cyrus’s second assessment was correct; an interest, not a fascination. Doc says he’s interviewed a lot like of men like Cyrus, and Cyrus says, but Doc has never met anyone like him.

Sam tells Jason that Spinelli followed Delores to her rendezvous. She’s having an affair with a councilmen, but they caught Spinelli taking pictures. Jason asks if it was in a hotel or motel, and Sam says, in the back of her car. Not the most discreet, but Delores threatened to arrest and charge Spinelli if he didn’t keep her secret. This also made it worse for Sam. Now Delores is determined to find something that will get her ass thrown back Pentenville. Jason says it’s time to stop looking for a way out; she was lucky she wasn’t thrown back in. She says her mom said the same thing, and he says she’s got to listen. If she thinks waiting is bad, it will be worse if she has to finish the rest of her sentence back in prison. Sam says they won’t see each other for a year and half. Is that what he wants? He says, no, but that’s what has to happen to keep her out of prison.

Mike tells Sonny, they’re trying to get one over on him, pretending they’re family. He needs Sonny to do something. Tell his boss that he needs to have security keep an eye on those two. Whoever they are, they’re up to no good.

Brando asks Carly if Mike is always like that, and she says, pretty much. She’s glad Mike recognized him, and he says, him too. That summer at the track is a good memory. She says, as Mike slips away, it’s important to remember the man he was. He says, Sonny is patient with him, and seems devoted. She says, when Mike was first diagnosed, Sonny worried that he couldn’t handle it, and couldn’t do what Mike needed. She never had any doubt. Family is everything to Sonny.

Molly says, it’s not being childish to want answers, but Jordan say she’s behaving like brat. Because TJ isn’t talking to her, she wants to call TV stations. She needs to get over it. She doesn’t want to see that her actions have consequences. She broke TJ’s heart, and he doesn’t want to be with her.

Doc tells Cyrus, that’s an intriguing statement. Does Cyrus think he’s more dangerous than other prisoners? Cyrus asks if that’s what Doc would like him to think, and Doc says he wants to know what Cyrus thinks. Is he more dangerous, or more of a threat? Cyrus tells Doc, he said he was more interesting, and Doc says, so he’s not dangerous? Cyrus says, he didn’t say that. Doc writes something, and Cyrus asks if Doc thinks he’s got him figured out. Doc says he’s documenting Cyrus’s veiled threat. When he asked if Cyrus was more dangerous, he refused to confirm it. Cyrus says, Doc thinks that’s a threat? and Doc says, a veiled one. It’s like when someone says, nice car. It would be a shame if something happened to it. Cyrus says, if he threatens Doc, he’ll know it. Cyrus wonders if he can ask Doc a question, and Doc says, of course (🍷); ask away. He asks if Doc could be perceiving an innocuous statement as a threat because of a manifestation of his own insecurities. Doc says, touché. He bets Cyrus is an excellent chess player. Cyrus says he never loses. Doc says, it’s been insightful, and thanks him. Cyrus says Doc never told him why he’s there. Doc says he’s doing a study about men behind bars, specifically solitary confinement. He’s been speaking to a lot prisoners. Cyrus has been helpful. Cyrus says, Doc’s name is Collins? Doc says, it’s a common name, but Cyrus probably recognizes it because his wife is the mayor. Cyrus says, Laura. She’s the reason he’s in solitary. Doc says, is she? Cyrus says, be sure to send his regards, and Doc leaves.

Trina tells Ava, after her dad died, Jordan went back over the files, and says her dad faked evidence. She told the Justice Department, and they’re going to let Cyrus out of prison. Ava says, that’s unlikely; it would be a major reversal. Trina says she doesn’t know the legal term, but her father is dead, and Cyrus is going to be out. How is that justice? The media is going to trash her dad, when he’s not a bad cop. Her father was a good man. Ava says she didn’t have a chance to know him, but from what Trina has said, she bets there’s only one person whose opinion mattered to him – Trina’s.

Jason takes Sam’s hands. He says it doesn’t matter how much they hate this. What’s important is she’s free, and home safe with the kids. She says, of course (🍷) it’s important, but so is finding a way to be together. He asks if it’s worth the risk? Her chance of going back to prison is worse than ever, especially now. She asks, what’s going on? and he says, Cyrus is attacking Sonny on all fronts. Out here, he can make sure she’s protected, but if she goes back, she’ll be in the middle of a war zone. Is Pentenville a co-ed prison?

Sam says she thought Sonny was handling Cyrus, and Jason says he’s working on it. It’s tough. Cyrus is powerful, and has a lot of people. Sam asks what that means, and he says, Sonny and Cyrus handle things differently. There are things Sonny won’t do that cross the line, and there’s no line Cyrus won’t cross. No one is off limits. Sam says she knows. He kidnapped Cameron and Trina, and used them as leverage. He says, they weren’t the only ones. Cyrus has TJ Ashford.  

Brando tells Carly, he mostly focused on the horses, but he got the impression that Mike and Sonny weren’t close. Mike was sorry for that. Carly says, if Mike hadn’t gotten sick, Sonny would have been okay with the distance. They both would have, but with Alzheimer’s, the distance isn’t up to them. You have to fight for every single moment. Brando says he doesn’t think he could do it, and Carly prays he never had to find out what it’s like. Sonny wanted to make peace with Mike before he slips away. Brando says, as much as he wasn’t happy at first about them keeping him there, he has to admit, it’s been good to connect with family. Carly says they enjoy having him there, even though they’re taking time to get to know him. Brando needs to get back to the shop, and Carly says she’s good. He leaves, and someone with very LOUD shoes goes by. Sonny comes back, and says he just left his dad. Mike doesn’t know who Brando is.

Ava tells Trina, nothing and no one can tarnish the love her father had for her. He’s her hero, and that’s all that matters. In a way, Taggert is Ava’s hero too. Trina says Ava didn’t know him, but Ava says she knows Trina. Her father saved her. He put his love for her above everything else, even his own life. That’s the true test of a hero and parent, putting everything aside for their child. Trina wishes there had been some other way, and Ava says she knows how important it is for Trina to keep her father on a pedestal. Trina says she didn’t put him there; it’s just where he always was. He was always a hero to her.

Molly tells Jordan, her not wanting to get married to anyone has nothing to do with how much she loves TJ. Jordan says, maybe not, but TJ gave her his heart and life, and she threw it back in his face. He got the message. She made a choice that served her, and didn’t care about TJ’s feelings. Molly says, that’s not true, and Jordan says Molly could have fooled her. Molly says Jordan made her point, and Jordan says, has she? Before Molly launches a search, remember TJ didn’t leave; she pushed him away. Molly says she’s got it. She never expected to break up with TJ, and she sure didn’t expect him do it through his mother. She leaves, and Jordan leans against the door. She tells Curtis, she had to do it. She had to stop Molly from searching. Curtis says, it will be okay, and she says she prays it worked.

Sonny tells Carly, his dad was scared. He thought Brando was going to hurt him. He wants Sonny to tell his bosses to beef up security. Carly says she’s so sorry, and Sonny says he’s got to go tell his dad that his boss is getting more men. He laughs, and she asks if there’s anything she can do to help? He says she’s done a lot already, and thanks her.

There’s a knock at the garage door, and Brando opens it to Molly. He says they’re closed, and she says, of course (🍷). It’s that kind of day. She guesses she’ll have to call a tow. She drives a hybrid, since it’s better for the environment. He asks what she hit, and she says, nothing; she went over a curb. The undercarriage is making a grating noise, and she doesn’t want to wreck the engine. He asks if there was any chance she was drinking, and she says she wishes; she’s totally sober. He asks if any other cars were involved, and if she needs the police, but she says it was just her. Sorry to bother him. She should have called a tow to begin with since the garage was closed. He says, on second thought, he’ll check it out.

Laura asks how it went, and Doc tells her, as expected. Cyrus is a narcissist. He made a subtle, veiled threat when his pride was hurt. He took exception to Doc minimizing how dangerous he was. She asks if they can lock him up, and Doc says, he’s sane. Under ordinary circumstances, he’d be opposed to that, but he has no problem recommending that he be moved to a psychological facility under medical supervision. Robert comes in and asks if that’s the plan. Laura asks how much he heard, and he says, enough to know it’s not going to work. Laura says she can have Cyrus transferred to Ferncliff, and Robert asks, for how long? She says they can keep him long enough for an extensive evaluation. Long enough to come up with a fresh case against him. Robert says Cyrus’s lawyers are going to take one look, and see it’s a ploy to keep Cyrus behind bars. Laura says she’ll argue that she wants him to get the care he needs. Robert says, and Doc will argue that it’s in his best interest. Doc says, exactly, and Laura says she’s not above doing what she has to, to keep Cyrus off the street, including having him committed. Robert says, it’s not going to work.

Mike recognizes Sonny, and asks, what took so long? Sonny apologizes, and Mike says, it’s all right; Sonny is there now. He hates hospitals. Can Sonny get him out? He just wants to go home. Sonny says, as soon as the doctors say it’s okay, he’ll take Mike back to Turning Woods. He remembers Turning Woods, right? Mike says, it’s a great place, but after that they get to go home, right? He doesn’t want to be around these people anymore; it doesn’t feel right. Sonny tells him to rest, and Mike says he’s tired. Sonny says, take a break. Close his eyes, and don’t worry. They’ll be waiting. Mike takes Sonny’s hands, and says, everything is going be all right. Sonny will see when they get back Bensonhurst; it will be all right. Mike lies down, closes his eyes, and drifts off.

Sonny goes back out, and Carly asks how Mike is doing. Sonny doesn’t know, and tells her to go home; he’s got to stay tonight. She says she knows how hard it is when Mike doesn’t recognize him, but Sonny says, he did. He knew Sonny’s name, the whole thing; he was great. Sonny sits down, and says, his dad wanted him to take him back to Bensonhurst. He looked Sonny in the eye, and he hasn’t done that in days. He said all he wants to do is go home.

Brando tells Molly, it’s not bad. It just needs some front end work. She asks if she should take it to the dealership, and he says, it’s up to her. She says he was nice enough to take a look, and she’d rather give him the business, assuming he can do the repair. He says, sure, and she says he doesn’t sound enthusiastic. He says he’s happy for the business, but she didn’t chose to come there, and he wasn’t recommend. She came out of desperation, and he doesn’t want to take advantage of that.

Ava says, any time Trina wants to talk, or even if she doesn’t, she’s available. Right now though, she’d like Trina to do something for her. Trina says, name it, and Ava says, call her mother. Let her know she’s safe. Ava knows what it’s like to worry about a daughter, no matter how angry she is. Trina takes out her phone, and calls. Ava gives her privacy.

Curtis tells Jordan, Molly will get over it, but Jordan says she can’t get over the look on Molly’s face. He says, when this is over, Molly will know Jordan was trying to protect her, and understand that Jordan loves her. She says here’s hoping it worked. Not just for Molly. Everyone needs to believe TJ is just dealing with rejection and disappeared. Curtis says, it makes sense, and she says she has to break Molly’s heart and destroy the reputations of the finest agents she’s ever met to make sure Cyrus and his drug dealing are off the streets.

Brando tells Molly, there’s no website yet; he just opened. She asks if it was a surprise, and he says he didn’t plan on opening a garage, not in Port Charles anyway. Long story. She says she loves them; the more convoluted, the better. He asks if she’s a novelist, and she says she’s a published author. She was sixteen at the time. He says, that’s even more impressive, and she says, it was a romance novel. Looking back, it was arrogant to think she could write about life and love, when she knew nothing. He asks if she still writes, but she says, not any more. Now she’s a law student. He says, so if she doesn’t like the repair, she’ll sue him. She asks if he can repair it, and he says he can. She says, at a fair price? and he says, absolutely. She says she’ll have no grounds. He says not to act grateful yet. He hasn’t drawn up the estimate. She says, it’s the perfect rotten end of a perfectly rotten day.

Trina tells Ava, her mom was glad she checked in, and Ava says she’s sure Portia would like to keep Trina at home, and not let Trina out of her sight. Trina says, normally, she’d hate that, but now, it’s not so bad. All of it is going to be coming out; the evidence her dad supposedly planted. It will be all over the news, and his name will be dirt. She’ll be the only one who remembers what a good man he was. Ava says, even if everyone loses faith, Trina won’t, and she’s the only person who matters. Trina says, it doesn’t feel like enough, and Ava says, she is; she was for him. Her father left behind an incredible legacy. Not just with his work as a cop, but with the way Trina saw him walk through the world. He shaped her, and she’s extraordinary. Trina is his legacy. They hug.

Curtis promises it will end, and Jordan will take Cyrus out. She wonders what’s taking so long. They have everything they need for Cyrus to vacate. He says she knows how it goes. They have to get the order in front of a judge. She says, and once they do, the most evil man she’s ever known is going to go free.

Laura asks if Robert is suggesting they just sit back and let Cyrus go free. He says the justice system isn’t perfect, but they can’t disrespect it. Doc says, not even if it was a random drug lord, whose body count was strangers? It’s a legitimate course of action. Robert says, it’s nothing to be happy about, but they have to get used to the fact Cyrus is getting out. And when he does, Laura will be in his crosshairs for what she did to him in Pentenville. Laura says she’s not worried about herself, but her city. Port Charles is going to see a spike in drug trafficking. She asks if there’s any other option to delay Cyrus’s release.

Sonny tells Carly, he thought watching his father fade away  would be the hardest part. His father knowing him, looking him in the eye, father to son, and pleading that all he wants  to do is go home; it’s the one thing Sonny can’t give him. This is hell. He can’t do it. Carly holds him, and says, yes, he can. She’s got him.

On Monday – tomorrow they’ll be airing their 56th Anniversary episode (originally aired on April 3rd, 2019) – Josslyn wants to find Trina, Jason tells Sam that he can’t do this anymore, and Carly asks Sonny what the hell he’s going to do.

The Real Housewives of New York City

We begin with the news of Bethenny’s exit, and how the cast found out, since apparently, Bethenny didn’t let anyone know. She could be caustic, but she was also intelligent, funny, and knew her way around a kitchen. And most important, every once in a while, blew her stack and said what was on all our minds. Life. Is. Not. A. Cabaret. Sonja feels abandoned all over again, and Ramona thinks it will be better; the women will be freer in spirit. In LeeAnn’s interview, a producer asks how she feels. LuAnn says, it’s hard to say. She’ll miss Bethenny, but the show must go on – without her.

LuAnn leaves the criminal court building, accompanied by Sonja. They hug on the steps, and LuAnn says, it’s finally over. She stops by a coffee cart on the corner, telling Sonja it’s her coffee guy. He says he thought she was finished, and in her interview, she says, it’s finally over; her probation is finished. It’s been almost two years. We flash back to LuAnn looking sad in court, and explaining to the others that she had to use a breathalyzer to drive. She says what people don’t understand is that she wasn’t fully present. This was always on her mind. It’s like someone lifted a ton of bricks. They sit and chat, and Sonja says, when LuAnn was first arrested, she didn’t care. She hit bottom, and thought things were great. Then she started becoming a cabaret star, and she wasn’t there for them. LuAnn says, what about her? Ugh. Same old. Sonja says she treated them like fans. In Sonja’s interview, she lists some of the ways LuAnn was a brat last season. The tantrum in the fish room, dumping Sonja after the AA meeting to go see her own poster, and coming back without truffle fries. That’s the real misdemeanor. LuAnn didn’t understand Sonja’s pain. As they hug, Sonja eats a pretzel behind LuAnn’s back.

Tinsley meets friend, and new cast member, Leah at the gym. In Tinsley’s interview, she says the summer was all about her. She moved on from Scott, worked on her lash line, and went to China, bringing back two puppies, Strawberry and Shortcake. She’s been focusing on herself, and it feels liberating. She met Leah a couple months ago, and Leah brings out her wilder side. She says what she feels, and has no filter. She also has a twelve-year-old daughter. Tinsley takes her hoops off, saying she feels like she’s losing  part of herself. Boxing trainer Martin says, nobody gives a f***. After the session, Tinsley and Leah sit and talk. Tinsley tells Leah that she only knew Chicago through Scott, but met Bruce while she was there. She doesn’t like his name, but she can’t change it. He’s been married twice and has three kids. In her interview, Tinsley thinks it’s the best way to have children; she can give them back. She tells Leah, she’s usually all-in immediately, but it’s the first time she’s being guarded, and not thinking too far ahead. Leah says she’s enjoying being single. She and her last boyfriend went to France, and on the flight home she asked what was going on with his divorce. He said it was on hold, so she told him that her p*ssy was on hold too. Ha! Good one.

Dorinda is still with John, and she’s prepping for his cooking class – i.e. her teaching him how to make lasagna. She tells him the doctor says she’s healing like a twenty-year-old, and he says she still acts like a twenty-year-old. In her interview, Dorinda says Carson Kressley was teaching her some Dancing with the Stars moves at a dinner party, flung her over a balcony, and she broke a rib. There was no mention as to whether alcohol was involved. She tells John, it forced her to look at things, and become dependent on him. In Dorinda’s interview, she says her injury made it necessary for her and John to spend time together. It’s been good, but weird; she’s not used to it. She confirms that familiarity breeds contempt.  They make lasagna, and Dorinda tells him about LuAnn. She doesn’t know why it’s a big deal. In Dorinda’s interview, she says she and LuAnn are in a good place, but their friendship had gone off the tracks. We flash back to mostly Dorinda being mean to LuAnn, and yelling, Jovani! during LuAnn’s cabaret show. She says, they’ve both transitioned to better places, and she’s not overthinking it.

Ramona meets friends Maria, Missy and Elyse, along with new neighbor/friend Mitchell, at a bar. In Ramona’s interview, she says she had a fabulous summer. She sold her condo, and has a new apartment on the Upper East Side, but she was living the Hamptons life. She admits she’s been escaping; masking something in her mind. She tells her friends that she feels like a youngster, but she’s sixty, and lacks direction. She feels empty and alone. In her interview, she says she has no important man in her life. Elyse says she’s surprised that Ramona feels that way, and Ramona starts to cry. Oh, yay. The bar buddy everyone wants. A weepy one. She says she wants a man to hold her, love her, and marry her, and doesn’t know if she’ll find one. I should add, an embarrassing bar buddy as well, since she’s LOUD.

Leah and daughter Kier go out to a juice bar. In her interview, Leah says, New York City is the best city in the world, and I tend to agree. She has a clothing line, Married to the Mob (which I’m actually familiar with), and lives with her daughter. They’re best friends, soulmates, and life partners. She doesn’t know if that’s healthy, but it’s the way it is. Kier is starting school soon, and Leah tells her to be herself, try her best, and don’t let the bitches get to her. Kier says her grandma told her that Leah was a horrible child. In Leah’s interview, she says their family situation isn’t traditional. Her baby daddy was her first love, and she thought they’d be together until they died, but they haven’t been together since Kier was two. Even so, he’s pretty much family.

Ramona visits Sonja, along with her pup Coco, who wants to romance Sonja’s pup Marley, even though there’s nothing they can ultimately do about it, since they’re fixed. Sonja says she’s been a recluse and has gas. Ramon tells Sonja not to send any of that her way. Sonja says she just took her daughter to college, and she lost it. In Sonja’s interview, she says when her daughter was in boarding school, she came home on weekends with her friends. The best Sonja can do now is be supportive about college, but she’s dying inside. Ramona says, when kids are away, they appreciate you more, and Sonja says she wants to give her daughter space. Sonja says, when she went to college, she flew the coop, and never looked back. The dogs continue to go at it.

Dorinda prepares for a party on the rooftop of Magic Hour restaurant. In her interview, she says she’s the entertainer of the group. You never know what you’ll get with Sonja, Ramona always invites the same thirty people, LuAnn’s parties always have a ticket booth out front, and who would Tinsley invite? Scott? We flash back to Dorinda calling Tinsley out on Scott and living in the hotel. Dorinda tells her makeup artist, Tinsley gave her a speech on how she didn’t want to hear conspiracy theories about her life, but she tells it like she sees it.

Tinsley tells her hair stylist that she’s anxious because she’s about to see the girls. The accusations about her and Scott are bullsh*t. We flash back to a Scott moment. In Tinsley’s interview, she wishes she understood why Dorinda is focused on her. Clearly something is going on in her own life that’s making her unhappy, so she’s projecting. Dorinda says she doesn’t know anything about Tinsley. The minute they go deep, Tinsley retracts like a turtle. In Dorinda’s interview, she says she doesn’t know if Tinsley has the ability to open up, but they’re not cocktail party talkers; they’re bad bitches.

Tinsley brings Leah to Dorinda’s party, and Leah wonders if there are any eligible bachelors to pick up. In her interview, Dorinda says she’s good at parties. She brings people from all different places and professions, and throws them into a room like a crazy soup, then puts the heat on high. Tinsley refuses to clink glasses because Sonja and Leah aren’t drinking alcohol, and it’s bad luck. I think that applies only to water, but Tinsley lives in her own world. She puts a drink stirrer in her drink, and then sticks it in theirs to make it okay. New rule. In Leah’s interview, she says she and alcohol have a weird relationship. She didn’t drink for nine years, and then started again six months ago. She enjoys going crazy. We see a clip of her telling Tinsley that every twenty times, she’s a hot mess and takes a loser home, wondering how he got there the next morning. The other night she drank too much, and lost Chanel bag along with her passport, so she’s putting it on pause. Everyone comments on Dorinda’s fabulous new haircut, which really does flatter her. LuAnn says she has her life back. In her interview, LuAnn says, it’s hard to wrap her head around the fact she could have gone to jail for having a drink, and now she can do what she wants. She worked hard to get where she is, and doesn’t want to give it up. She’s Lu and improved. Tinsley introduces Leah to everyone.

Dorinda welcomes everyone. She says, another summer is over, and she wanted to have an end-of-the-summer party, since they scatter during the summer. She tells them that she has a big surprise, and drag queen Chelsea Piers comes out (no pun intended), and performs Feelin’ Jovani, while LuAnn fights for the spotlight. In LuAnn’s interview, she says obviously Dorinda has gotten past this. It’s not an olive branch; it’s the whole tree. In Leah’s interview, she says she has no clue what Jovani is, and looks it up on her phone, looking confused when she finds out it’s a clothing designer. I guess she’s never watched this show. In Dorinda’s interview, she says, she loves hard, fights hard, and forgives easily. It seems ridiculous now. Leah explains she’s a native New Yorker, and LuAnn says, but she looks so normal. Leah says she doesn’t see herself tied down, but Ramona says she wants to be tied down. (Leaving those jokes for someone else.) LuAnn tells Leah, they’re kind of old school, since they were both married a long time. Leah and LuAnn compare arrests, and oddly enough, both attacked police officers. In Leah’s interview, she says she ran into a guy she had a crush on 4th of July, 2002. She was mid-kiss when suddenly five cops were beating him up. Her kneejerk reaction was to hit a cop, and he punched her, then smashed her face into the subway grate. Nice. She sued and won, and decided she’d been making bad choices, so she’d be smart with the money, and used it for her brand.

Tinsley asks Dorinda to come outside and talk. They sit, and Tinsley says she feels like they were friends, but had issues, and she wants to have a lunch date where they can talk. Dorinda says, about Tinsley’s text on conspiracy theories, she’s always trying to pull information out of Tinsley. She saw Tinsley in January, when she’d said she wasn’t with Scott, and a week later, she was having dinner with him. In Dorinda’s interview, she says, it’s about transparency. Tinsley has things going on, and they find out about them elsewhere. She thinks Tinsley is a riddle they’re never going to solve. She doesn’t know the answer. Tinsley wins. Inside, Sonja chats up hot guy William, who’s Ramona’s ex-lover. Sonja says Ramona is always going after her guys, so she’s turning the tables. She tells William that she’s not dating young guys, but if you don’t use it, you lose it. Leah doesn’t think he can handle Sonja. In her interview, Leah feels like William is the kind of guy who wouldn’t know his way around a woman’s body, rub you in the wrong place, and you’d have to explain it to him or he’ll just keep it up. Sonja says she doesn’t want to go home empty-handed. Wake up and smell the Sonja. Dorinda tells Tinsley, it’s not just her, but Tinsley says, actually, it is. Dorinda won’t listen to her, and keeps calling her a liar. Dorinda says, don’t put words in her mouth.

Dorinda tells Tinsley not to be tricky with her. Don’t ride up on her and make a statement. I have no idea what that means. Tinsley says she doesn’t give a sh*t, and what she thinks is that Dorinda doesn’t want to be her friend. Dorinda says she wants to know who Tinsley is, but Tinsley just wants to make a big statement, and it’s not going to work. Dorinda flounces off, and plops down next to LuAnn on a couch. She tells LuAnn that Tinsley came up on her hot, and told Dorinda not to be all gangster, but Dorinda said she is gangster. I think maybe she’s just mean. Tinsley said everybody knows her except Dorinda. Tinsley sits down in between Ramona and Leah, and says she only said she wanted to talk to Dorinda, and Dorinda said she was fake. In Tinsley’s interview, she says if she’s not talking, Dorinda says she’s hiding something, but if she asks for a private conversation, she’s fake. She can’t win. Leah asks, what’s going on? and Dorinda and Tinsley continue to bicker. In LuAnn’s interview, she says, she’s already been there, and the last thing she’s doing is inserting herself into this dog fight. She tries to switch seats with Tinsley, but Tinsley isn’t moving. Dorinda gets in Tinsley’s face, and tells her to shut her mouth. Leah asks if Tinsley is going to let Dorinda talk to her like that. Tinsley says she doesn’t care what Dorinda has to say, and Dorinda says, kindergarten is starting. In Leah’s interview, she says, Dorinda is like the snake in Beetlejuice, but scarier and meaner. Dorinda says this is boring her, and starts to walk away, but her heel gets stuck. Tinsley says, don’t trip (totally missing the opportunity to say, have a nice trip; see you next fall). Dorinda gets up close and personal again, and says her heel got stuck. The difference is, she bought her shoes. She didn’t lie on her back for them. She twirls around, but not nearly as well as Kenya, and walks away. Tinsley says, you’re a jealous bitch, bitch.

And away we go.

This season – parties, costumes, Ramona on a swing, Sonja falling, Leah says they’re all hot effing messes, LuAnn is back at cabaret, Tinsley wants to move to Chicago, Dorinda pretends everything is okay, LuAnn forgot how good vodka tastes, a trip to Mexico, a trip to a cornfield, revisiting the fish room, LuAnn swears she never screwed the pirate, and Dale wonders what’s wrong with her and Tinsley?

👨🏽‍🍳 On Top Chef, comedian chefs Ali Wong and Randall Park, who met during a fried rice competition where they went to school, gave the chefs their quickfire challenge of creating a fried rice dish, the winning chef getting immunity. The chefs had thirty minutes to make the best damn fried rice that was creative and inventive. Given a display table of ingredients, they were also to use at least one ingredient from the choices. You’d have thought they were going for rolls of toilet paper, the way the chefs grabbed the components they wanted. Kevin was the winner, using flaming hot Cheetos, hot dogs, and bourbon. I assume it tasted better than it sounds, since Ali said it was like a party in her mouth.

The elimination challenge was next, with the chefs going to the Getty Museum for inspiration. The challenge was to interpret a work of art on a plate, using four movements; baroque, neoclassicism, renaissance, and rococo. Since Kevin won the Quickfire, he got to choose first, and selected baroque. The rest of the contestants took knives from a block, each with a movement on it. After the museum, it was on to Whole Foods to shop for ingredients. Someone pointed out LOUD shoes, and I had to laugh, since I’d just mentioned that in the GH recap, and I wonder if it’s a thing now. The chefs were to tell a story through their choice of ingredient, and Ludo Lefebvre was introduced as guest judge.

Padma said they had some glorious, artful food, but had to choose one masterpiece. The winning spot went to Melissa’s won ton soup.

When the chefs on the bottom were called out, Padma told Karen that she ended up in the bottom because Kevin had immunity. In her interview, Karen made it clear how pissed she would be if she was out for that reason. She creeped me out a little during this episode. Not only did she practically hiss her displeasure about possibly losing, she most definitely glared at Kevin when he got the immunity in the first place. I also highly doubt had he not had it, he would have taken any chances. Joe said while the dish chosen didn’t lack artistry, it lacked the technique to present the artistry. Jamie had to pack up his knives and go for his dish being too dry. He said it sucked to leave this early, and wished he had delivered better cookery; there was no greater sin. His hope was in the Last Chance Kitchen, and to get back in the competition, doing the type of food he wants, the way he wants to do it. Next time, Kelly Clarkson is guest judge, and the chefs are challenged with a vegetarian menu.
