General Hospital
There was no GH today because maybe, kinda, sorta we might have breaking news. I thought I was losing my mind when I put it on, and Carly and Josslyn were talking about Trina getting back into PCU. I thought, wasn’t she just making a big deal about a paper for class? Then the lightbulb came on…
People laugh at me, but I loved their music and they put on a great show. Back in the day, their concert was one of the few things I ever watched using pay-per-view.
That whole thing with Dorit still annoys me. Knowing how rescue works, Dorit was in the wrong. Period. And the constant chatter about it wasn’t coming from Her Majesty. If anyone could single-handedly end the dog meat trade, it would be LVP.
Take a break tomorrow for some soap (I think) and what I hope is the end of OC season. Until then, stay safe, stay not raining on anyone’s Halloween parade, and stay not hanging out with Vicki and Tamra if you want to curb your drinking.

General Hospital
Diane sees Robert in the hotel lobby, and says, what a surprise. What brings him to the MetroCourt this evening?
Victor paces, and says, it’s been too many years and he’s come too far. No, no, no. He will not be denied again. Eileen eyeballs the flashdrive on the floor as her phone rings. She tells Victor, the DA’s office, and answers, saying, she’s in the middle of a meeting. She already told them, she needs more time before she can come back to the office. Anna says, time’s up. Get out now. Eileen looks at the flashdrive again, and says she can’t. Valentin asks, what’s going on? and Anna says, she’s going to blow up the whole operation. She asks if Victor isn’t letting Eileen leave, but Eileen says, no. They can wait for her. Anna says, whatever it is Eileen is thinking, don’t, and Eileen says she can’t really talk right now, but don’t worry. When she gets there, they’ll have all the answers they need, and they won’t have to meet again. Anna says, oh my God, she hung up, and Valentin asks if Anna thinks Victor is on to her, but Anna says she doesn’t know. She calls again.
Eileen tells Victor that she’s sorry for the interruption. It won’t happen again; she’s putting her phone on silent. Victor says, she might as well leave. She’s done her part. She looks again at the flashdrive, and says she doesn’t want to leave him unhappy. She comes closer to him and adjusts his tie, asking if she can’t do something to make him feel better. There’s a knock at the door, and a man tells Victor that he has the information Victor is waiting for. He lets the man in, and says, not here; follow me. They go into the bedroom, and Eileen picks up the flashdrive.
At the safehouse, Lucy messes with her phone, telling Maxie to pick up her texts. Enter, enter, enter, enter. Answer her. Felicia comes in, and asks how Lucy is tonight. Lucy says, she’s good… that is if Felicia’s daughter would answer her texts. Felicia says, Maxie is diligent about responding to text messages, unless of course (🍷) she’s in a meeting and can’t. Lucy says, unless of course (🍷) Maxie’s choosing not to answer her, and Felicia says, there’s that. She asks Anna and Valentin, what’s going on? and Anna says, Eileen delivered the counterfeit necklace to Victor, but now she’s not picking up her phone. Felicia wonders if Victor is on to her, and Valentin says, it’s impossible to say, but they’re afraid Eileen might have gone rogue, and Anna says, putting herself, them, and the whole operation in jeopardy.
Cameron walks into Charlie’s with Esme and Ace, and Spencer says, what the hell? He knows this is Cameron’s party… Laura says, yes, it’s his party. He’s the man of the hour. She hugs him, and he says he knows his guests are unexpected. Laura says, welcome, and Esme says, for the record, this wasn’t her idea. Cameron invited her. Elizabeth says, this is her son’s going away party, and he can invite anyone he wants. It’s nice to see her outside of Spring Ridge. Esme says she doesn’t respond well to being locked up… as Elizabeth knows.
On the phone, Maxie says, the Nurses Ball is officially sold out, but they’ve been so generous to the hospital, she’ll see what she can do about squeezing in a party of four. She sighs.
Bobbie tells Brook that her list of performers is fantastic. She’s totally outdone herself. What a great lineup. Sasha says, Brook did a fantastic job recruiting people, and Brook says, now on to the hard part; what order do they perform in? Bobbie says, everyone knows it’s for a great cause, and she thinks they’ll just put their egos aside (she expects a lot), and accept whatever order they come up with. Maxie comes in and wonders how people can hear something is sold out and still expect to get tickets. She has to add another table. Sasha asks, where? They have to stick with the fire code. Maxie says she’s sure she’ll figure something out. Her phone rings, and Lucy asks why Maxie is ignoring her texts. And what is she hiding? What is Maxie doing to her show? Maxie says, hello… again. Let her get someplace more private. Maxie leaves, and Brook says, show order. Let’s start with the easy calls. GH doctors and nurses will start, but then what? The nurses will be a good emotional beginning, but the next act has to grab the audience’s attention; it has to be exciting. It has to have sex appeal. What act sends the message that you are in for the night of your life, and you don’t want to miss a single minute? Chase walks in.
In a back hallway, Maxie says, this is not what they agreed to. Texts only; no more phone calls. Lucy says she’s sorry. She’s not trying to micromanage Maxie. Maxie doesn’t know what it’s like to be stuck inside this safehouse while the Nurses Ball, her baby, is going on without her. Maxie says she hears that, but she can either talk to Lucy or get the Nurses Ball going. She can’t do both. Lucy says, that’s where Maxie is wrong. She has an idea.
Chase tells Bobbie that he’s here for his rehearsal, but she says, Felix is doing rehearsals, right next door. Felix comes in, and asks if Chase brought a copy of the song lyrics for the director. Chase says he did, and gives Felix the copy. Felix asks where Blaze is, and Chase says he’s sorry. She texted and said she couldn’t make it tonight. Felix says, this is her final rehearsal. She can’t just wing it on the big night. Chase says, he’ll go over it with her, and make sure she knows it. Blaze is a total pro. It will go off without a hitch. Felix says, from your lips…
Sasha says, whatever is going on with Brook and Chase, he’s clearly not indifferent to her. Don’t give up hope. Brook says, there’s no hope. Chase made that very clear to her yesterday.
Robert asks what brings Diane to the hotel, and she says she just finished a painfully boring dinner with an out of town client. What about him? He says he’s due to meet a contact for a drink, but he’s starting to think he’s been stood up, and she says she doesn’t believe that for a second.
Cameron tells Esme not to make him regret bringing her. Don’t talk to his mom like that. Elizabeth says, it’s okay. She was just speaking her truth. She’s sorry for everything. Cameron says, his mom just apologized. He feels like Esme should acknowledge that if she meant what she said earlier about being a better person. Esme says she’s sorry, and she does appreciate Elizabeth’s apology, but she really thinks she should go. It’s obvious no one wants her here. Cameron says, because of her past. She has to try and show people that she’s a changed person. There’s a life here. She’s just got to try. Elizabeth takes Esme’s diaper bag, and says she’ll help Esme get settled in. They walk to a table, and Laura asks, what happened? Cameron says he might have walked into her apartment, and might have caught Esme trying to walk through the front door, and Laura says she’s guessing Esme wasn’t just going for a walk. Cameron says, she actually tried to convince him otherwise, but after some grilling, she admitted she was trying to leave town with Ace. He eventually talked her down, but didn’t want to chance leaving her alone, so he brought them here. Laura thanks him, and pissing-me-off-by-the-moment Spencer says he’s going to have a quick chat with Esme about trying to take off with his little brother. Laura says, not now. Not here. Scotty comes in and says he can’t believe Cameron is headed to Stanford. The town won’t be the same. He sees Elizabeth fussing over Ace, who bounces on Esme’s knee, and says, what the hell is Esme doing here?
Josslyn asks, what happened to Jake and Aiden? and Trina says, Cameron told her that the family is going to have special goodbye breakfast for him on the day he leaves. Josslyn says she didn’t know. It’s so weird to see Esme with a baby. They need to get that poor kid away from her as soon as possible. Memory or no memory, she’s still bad news.
Anna says, she called Eileen’s cell, Eileen picked up, but refused to leave Victor’s room, and Felicia asks if Anna thinks Eileen double-crossed them. Anna says she doesn’t know; she doesn’t think so. Eileen told her that she’d be able to get them all the answers they need. Oh my God. Do they know what she’s doing? She’s going after the decryption key. Felicia says, that’s good, because they already have the real Ice Princess necklace, complete with the correct code. If Eileen can get the decryption key, they don’t have to follow Victor. They’ll be one step ahead. Valentin says, people who think they’re one step ahead of Victor Cassadine tend to get stabbed in the back.
Eileen puts the flashdrive in her pocket, when Victor comes back out. He says he thought they weren’t going to be interrupted again, and Eileen says she didn’t know how long they were going to take, and her real job is very demanding. Victor says, she works for him, and that’s the only job that’s important. Remember? Her very life depends on it. She says she’s well-aware, but she does have a meeting she has to go to with the Zoning Board. She picks up her coat, and he says, she’ll leave when he says she leaves. She’s not leaving yet.
Elizabeth checks her phone, and wonders why Epiphany isn’t calling her back.
Spencer says he knew his grandmother shouldn’t have left Esme alone, and Cameron says, he can’t watch her every second. Spencer says he can sure as hell try, and Cameron says he has a better idea. Since Esme is like a blank slate, can they at least try to co-exist with her? Spencer says, Cameron wants him to be nicer? After everything she’s done? Cameron tells him, he didn’t say that, but they can at least try to tone down the overt hostility.
Brook says she really screwed things up with Chase, and Sasha says, tell her what happened. Brook flashes back to Chase saying, if she was really trying to do the right thing, why didn’t she tell him? He’ll tell her why. She knew he’d be angry, and she knew what she did was wrong. But she was right about one thing; she’s not the person he thought she was. Brook tells Sasha, she blew it, and there’s no going back. Maxie comes back along with Bobbie, and asks Brook, what’s wrong? Brook says, nothing. Let’s go over the show order.
Lucy listens in, and Bobbie says she thinks they should just start at the end and work backwards. Lucy scoffs, saying, Bobbie would say something like that. That is ridiculous. Maxie, don’t listen to her. Maxie hears Lucy in her earpiece, and Bobbie asks if Maxie is going to be the one to announce how much money they made and say goodnight. Maxie says she thinks it should be someone from GH, and Sasha says, it won’t be the same without Lucy. They miss her. Maxie says, it’s funny. She feels like Lucy is right here in the room with them. Lucy says, I miss you too, Sasha, so much. You are a good egg. Sasha says, since Lucy isn’t here to be the Mistress of Ceremonies, there’s only one possible choice. It has to be Bobbie. Lucy yells, no! and Maxie can’t get her earpiece out fast enough.
Diane asks, who would stand up Robert Scorpio? but he says, it’s a business meeting, not a date. She says she still finds it criminal that two people such as themselves are working at this hour, but he says, she’s Killer Miller; she’s never off the clock. She laughs, and tells him, she’d never say never, but she’d be glad to put it all aside if she got the right offer. His phone rings, and he sees it’s a call from Anna. He asks Diane to excuse him. It’s his business contact. She tells him, have a good night, and leaves. He asks, what’s up? and Anna says, Eileen is still in there with Victor. He has to go in and get her out. He says he’s on it. Diane sees him at the elevator, and he says he thought she was leaving. She says she was, but Alexis called; she’s working later. She wanted Diane to meet her for dessert upstairs. She’ll ride up with him.
Victor says he still doesn’t have the information his brother Mikkos engraved onto the Ice Princess, and Eileen says she brought him the necklace. The decryption key failed him, not her. He said so himself. He says, regardless, he needs more time. He needs her to return the necklace to the PCPD secure locker room, so no one will know it went missing. His people need to work on the decryption key, and find out what went wrong. She takes the box, and says she’s only sorry he couldn’t crack the code. She was truly hoping this would all be finished today. He promises she’ll be done with this very soon. There’s just one more thing he needs her to do for him.
Lucy hears Bobbie say she’s not so sure she should be the one to close the Nurses Ball. What about Elizabeth… or Felix… or Deanna? Lucy says, Bobbie finally said something right. It definitely should not be you. Sasha says, true, they’re all nurses, but this is the 60th anniversary. Bobbie’s been at the hospital the longest, and she’s co-chair of the Nurses Ball. Lucy says, Sasha doesn’t need to be quite so literal. She wasn’t even a Candy Striper, and she represented GH just fine. Anybody but Bobbie. Why Bobbie? Not Bobbie Spencer, okay? The Ball needs to end with bang, not a whimper. Maxie yells, stop it! and Bobbie asks if she’s all right. Lucy says, sorry, she’ll shut up, and Maxie says she’s sorry for yelling. It’s just that all this talk about Lucy is creating this relentless chatter in her head telling her that the Nurses Ball isn’t going to be good this year. Sasha tells her to cut herself some slack. Maxie is working so hard; they all are. The Ball is going to be great. Felix comes in, and says he agrees with Sasha. He’s worked a lot of Balls with Lucy, and he knows what she would want. Lucy says, that’s right, Felix; tell ‘em. Felix says he thinks Lucy would be behind them 100% with Bobbie. Lucy says, please, anyone but Bobbie, and Maxie tells Felix that she agrees with him. She just needs to tell that annoying voice in her head to shut up. She shuts off her earpiece, and Lucy says, Maxie, come back.
Scotty says, Esme and the baby are staying with Laura? He knows she likes to take risks, but that’s crazy. She hands him a drink, and says she knows, but the baby is completely innocent, and he’s her grandchild, and she feels like she needs to protect him. He takes a sip, and says, what the hell is this? She says, club soda, and he says, where’s the vodka? Cameron’s underage, but he’s not. She says she thinks Liesl’s still mad at him, and he says he went to her apartment, and she threw all his suits out in the hallway. There were actually people trying them on. Elizabeth joins them, and says she’s really sorry she caused this rift between Scotty and Liesl, but he says, it’s not her fault. How did the Ethics Committee go? She says she got reinstated, and he says, good. She gets to keep her job. She says she’s worried she may have lost a friend, and looks at her phone.
In the elevator, Robert presses a button, and Diane says she thought he was heading upstairs for a drink. He says, plans changed; she now wants to meet in her room. Diane says, if his contact is staying at the hotel, why was he waiting in the lobby?
Josslyn walks over to where Esme is standing, holding a sleeping Ace, and Esme says her arm feel asleep. Josslyn suggests switching arms once in a while, and Esme does. She says, that’s better. Thanks. Josslyn says, so Esme met Spencer in boarding school. She didn’t babysit before that? Esme says she has no idea. She doesn’t remember anything before waking up at GH. Josslyn says, right, sorry, and Esme says she heard about what she did to Josslyn in the past, the revenge porn. She swears she has no memory of doing it, or even why she would. She honestly hopes she never remembers. She doesn’t want to be that person. She just wants to be a good mom to Ace. It’s important she set a good example for him. That’s all that matters to her now.
Diane follows Robert out of the elevator, and says, Victor Cassadine has a room on this floor. Is that why he’s here? Robert says, she should get back on the elevator, and find Alexis, and Diane says, uh-huh. What has Victor done now? He says, actually, it’s Eileen Ashby he’s looking for, and she says, the Deputy Mayor? He knocks on the door and yells for Victor to come out, and Diane asks if he’s sure Victor’s in there. Robert says, he was five minutes ago, and she says, maybe Victor has left the building. Robert tells her that he’s going to kick in the door, and she’s going to find Alexis. She strides off, and he says, what do you know? That’s never worked before.
Felicia wonders why Robert hasn’t called them back, and Anna says, he’s in the middle of something, there’s no update… Valentin says, Eileen can’t still be with Victor, and Anna says she’s worried Eileen is pushing too hard. Victor was already suspicious of her. By now he might have realized she’s working against him. Valentin says, Eileen would turn on them in a heartbeat, and Felicia says, maybe she saw an opportunity and she jumped on it. if she can get Victor’s decryption key, that’s going to make things a lot easier for them. Valentin says, if they still have the real necklace, then they have the advantage because Victor needs it. He’s been looking for it a long time. He can’t move forward without it. Anna says she hopes he hasn’t decided Eileen is standing in his way.
Robert tries using a credit card to slip the lock, when Diane comes back. She says she thought he was kicking the door down, but he says he suddenly remembered he’s not 25 anymore. She says, allow her, and hands him a keycard. He asks where she got it, and she says she found a maid, she borrowed the maid’s master key, and the city needs to reimburse her forty dollars. He tells her, stand back, and opens the door. The room is empty.
On the phone, Anna says, thanks for the update, and tells Valentin, Robert got into Victor’s room. He and Eileen weren’t there; it was empty. Valentin wonders how they got past Robert, but Anna doesn’t know. Service elevator or something? He said there was no sign of a struggle. Felicia says, then Eileen went with him willingly, and Valentin says, either that or they overpowered her and took her out back in a laundry cart. Felicia says, it doesn’t do them any good to assume the worst. Where do they think Victor took her? Anna says, it all depends on whether Eileen blew her cover or not.
Maxie thinks Bobbie is the perfect person to end the Ball, and Bobbie says she’s honored, but there are other nurses deserving of that honor. Maxie asks, what if it causes friction? Whoever they ask, someone else is bound to feel slighted. Bobbie says she doesn’t think they have to worry about that. What the heck. Maybe she should do it anyway. Sasha asks, what changed her mind? and Bobbie says, if anything can bring Lucy back from the grave, it would be seeing Bobbie up on that stage instead of her.
Elizabeth says, she’s been trying to reach Epiphany, but no luck, and Laura says, she’s probably just really busy. She’s probably having the time of her life at Johns Hopkins campus. Elizabeth says she can’t help but feel Epiphany is avoiding her, but Laura says she doesn’t think that’s Epiphany’s style. Scotty says he agrees with Laura. She’s a straight shooter. He knows that from personal experience with Epiphany. Laura says she’s sure Elizabeth will hear from her when she gets back to town. Elizabeth says she hopes so.
Cameron asks if Esme is okay, and she says, perfect. She’s the one who should be leaving town, not him. He says he thinks she’s better off here. Where would she go? She can’t raise Ace by herself. She says, Charlie’s is full of people, but she’s still on her own, but he says, it doesn’t have to be that way. It’s her choice.
Felix asks what kind of lighting Chase is looking for, and Chase says, it’s a love song, so he figured, keep it simple. Felix says, really? Because in his book, there’s nothing simple about love. He does know someone who might have some ideas though. He grabs Brook, and says, they need her two cents. How does she feel about love?
Victor brings Eileen to the footbridge, followed by mystery man, and she asks why he brought her here. Victor says he likes privacy for these kinds of things, and she asks, what kinds of things? Mystery man pushes her up against the railing, and frisks her, and she asks what he’s doing. He takes the flashdrive out of her pocket, and hands it to Victor. Victor says, this doesn’t belong to her, and wonders why he shouldn’t just kill her right now. She says, because she knows things, and he says, such as? She says, Valentin and Anna aren’t dead. They’re alive and in Port Charles.
Felix says he needs some direction for lighting and set design, so let’s get down to the basics. Is it a sad love song or a happy one? Chase tells him, he’d say it was happy, filled with love and optimism. Brook says, is it though? The lyrics are full of yearning. Chase says, and passion, and she says, which you had but lost. He says, not really lost; chemistry doesn’t fade away. She says, it doesn’t fade away, but it can take a wrong turn, and then where are you? You’re lost. He says, hoping to be found again, and Felix says, so lighting for lost and found. He can do that.
In Victor’s room, Diane says she can help Robert look. He’s just got to tell her what they’re looking for. He says, it turns out Eileen was working with Victor. They had a little talk with her, and convinced her to change sides. However, loyalty is not Eileen’s strong point. They’re concerned she may have panicked and told Victor everything. She asks what Victor did, and Robert says, he killed Luke Spencer.
Victor says, his son is alive? And Anna? What about Lucy? Eileen says, she’s alive too. They’re all hiding out in town. He asks, where? but she says she doesn’t know. A safehouse? They always blindfolded her when they took her there. He asks why she stole the flashdrive if the decryption key didn’t work, and she says, because the key wasn’t the problem. The necklace she gave him was a fake. He moves closer to her, and she says she didn’t want to do it. They threatened her. Wait. They have the real necklace, and she can get it for him. She’ll do anything she can to make this right.
Maxie’s phone rings, and she says she wants to ignore this, but it could be Nurses Ball business. It’s Lucy, who says, sorry, sorry. Please don’t hang up. She promises she’ll be as quiet as a mouse. Maxie says she’s so sick of Lucy trashing any idea that’s not her own. They’re all working their butts off here. Lucy says she knows and she’s sorry. It’s just that she cares too much about the Nurses Ball. Maxie says, Lucy has to trust her to do what’s right, and Lucy says she does, but please, Bobbie can’t host in her place. Maxie says, no one is taking Lucy’s place. They all agreed no one person could fill her shoes, so they’re going to have different GH staff members introduce various acts. Lucy asks if she learned nothing from the Daisy Awards. It’s really a terrible idea. Maxie says, call her again, and she’s blocking Lucy for good. Goodbye. She shuts the earpiece off.
Spencer watches Esme rocking Ace, and flashes back to voicing his concerns about Esme taking off with the baby to Victor, and Victor saying, there’s no way in hell Esme is raising a Cassadine heir. Not while there’s a breath left in his body. Cameron tells Spencer, it’s not that bad. They both know grandmother won’t let anything bad happen to Ace. Spencer says he wasn’t thinking about his brother. He was thinking, when Cameron leaves town, there won’t be anyone to keep him in line. Cameron says, what about Trina and Joss? and Spencer says, that’s true, but it’s not going to be the same. He’s going to miss Cameron.
Scotty asks for everybody’s attention. He’s got a few things to say about Cameron. Everybody gathers around, and he says, he and Cameron aren’t related by blood, but he certainly considers Cameron family. He’s had a tough year, but he’s kept his chin up. Now Stanford has him; their loss. So good luck. He shakes Cameron’s hand, and says, he loves Cameron. He puts his hand up like he’s whispering, and says he’s got something for Cameron’s wallet. Cameron thanks him, and Elizabeth says she’s so proud of Cameron, hugging him. He says he loves her, and she says she loves him too. Cameron thanks everyone, and begins his goodbye hug tour. Esme tells him that Laura’s offered to take her and Ace home, so they’re going to be leaving now, but she thanks him for inviting them. It just figures that the one person who’s been nice to her is leaving town. He says his grandma’s been nice to her, and she says, true. She does have an ulterior motive. He says, she’s not like that, when Laura comes over. She hugs him, and says she’s going to miss him so much. He’s a very, very special young man. He’s her soccer star. He thanks her and says he loves her. She says she’ll bring Esme’s stuff to the car, and Esme follows her out, Scotty opening the door.
Felix says he knows Brook and Chase used to be a couple. Is that going to be a problem here? Brook says, no, and Chase says, they’ll get it done. Felix walks out, and Chase follows him.
Bobbie says, the show order is set, and Maxie says, this Nurses Ball is going to be special. Worthy of GH’s 60th anniversary.
Lucy says, it’s simply madness not to have one host. You need that person to tie everything together; keep the evening moving. This is bad. This is really bad. This is not going to work. She has to be there. The Nurses Ball needs her.
Cameron thanks Elizabeth for the party; it was a lovely send-off. She says, everyone wanted a chance to say goodbye and tell him how much they love him. He says, it’s strange. He hates that he’s leaving, but he can’t wait to get there. (That’s a perfect way of describing leaving home for the first time. If you liked living there.) She says she knows. He’s going to love it there, but she’s going to miss him. He says he’s going to miss her too, and they hug.
Anna’s phone rings, and she says, it’s Eileen. She asks if Eileen is all right. Is she still with Victor? On the footbridge with Victor and mystery man watching, Eileen says she’s sorry. She thought she could get the decryption key, but it didn’t work out. Valentin asks if she’s compromised. Does Victor know the necklace was a fake? Eileen looks at Victor, who nods, and she says, no. Victor didn’t suspect anything. Anna says, and she’s all right? Just don’t go against orders again. Eileen says she can’t do this anymore. She’s out. Anna says, don’t forget the evidence they have against her, but Eileen says her life is ruined already. She’s leaving town, and she’s going to get as far away from Victor Cassadine as possible. Anna says, just calm down, and Victor disconnects the call. Eileen says she did what Victor wanted, and he says, well done. Now there’s just one more little thing.
Valentin says, they lost Eileen, and Anna says, she sounded terrified. She just hopes Eileen is halfway to the Canadian border by now. Felicia says, if Victor didn’t suspect her, he will when she goes missing. Anna says, at least they have the real necklace. As long as they have that, they still stand a chance.
Eileen says, Victor promised he’d help her get out of town, away from Anna’s reach, and he strokes her hair, saying, he promises she won’t have to worry about Anna Devane again. He flings her over the side of the bridge, with one hand no less, and she yells like a cartoon character going over a cliff.
Cameron tells Elizabeth, goodnight. He loves her. She says she loves him more. He leaves, and the pub is empty except for a few employees. Elizabeth calls Epiphany’s number. State Trooper Carlson answers, and Elizabeth says she’s trying to reach Epiphany Johnson. He says he’s very sorry, but he has bad news about her friend. We don’t hear him, but we see Elizabeth’s face as he talks, and it makes me want to cry. She sits down at the bar, and closes her eyes.
Tomorrow, Marshall says, this was all his fault; Robert says, General Hospital’s lost one of its best; Diane tells Obrecht that some forms must be completed today; and Willow says she’s right where she needs to be.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey
Last week, Danielle left the party after hearing her name one too many times. Teresa and Jennifer left with her, and in the limo, Danielle said she’d opened up, and now she was being talked about. The one person they didn’t want to have as an enemy was her.
Everyone struggles to wake up. Jennifer makes a huge breakfast for her guests, and tells them Rachel is having brunch later. Saddle up; it’s going to be a long afternoon. Among the three houses, there are various conversations involving Danielle and her brother. Jackie thinks something is missing from the story, and Dolores doesn’t think the rift is because Danielle blocked him, but she doesn’t know what it is. In Rachel’s interview, she says she likes Danielle. Danielle has the things she looks for in a friend, but it feels like a link in the chain is missing. Danielle says, Rachel is a sh*t starter, and she didn’t like that Rachel repeated the things she said. In Danielle’s interview, she says she saw Danielle as a new friend. Now Marge is mad at her because of what Rachel told her. Because she hasn’t played victim for a minute, Teresa says, they were making her feel bad because she didn’t invite Melissa’s mom to the wedding. In Melissa’s interview, she says, how dare Teresa paint the picture that her mother doesn’t deserve to be there? and Marge says, Louie went looking for Melissa’s mom to apologize. Melissa wonders if that’s coming from a genuine place. Does he believe Teresa is wrong? Joe #3 says, Louie makes himself look good, but he knows what’s up. In Joe #2’s interview, he says, in the beginning, he was happy about Louie, and a producer asks if something happened. Joe says, yes. In Teresa’s interview, a producer asks how it started, and Teresa says she kept her mouth shut to protect her brother and keep the peace. She tells everyone at Jennifer’s house that there was a business dealing, and Louie lost a quarter million dollars. In her interview, she says, Joe had an idea for a pizza oven, and Louie put out $250,000. He discussed it with an attorney, and they came up with the figure of 5% to give Joe, but Joe wanted 50%. She asked him if he put up the money. They ended up not doing it, and Louie took the loss. We see a clip of Melissa telling Tiki and Traci Barber that Louie acted like a knight in shining armor. In Joe’s interview, he says he didn’t want to talk, but if Teresa’s talking… It was his idea to honor his father; they were calling it Nonno Pizza. He ordered the ovens, and Louie put up the money. He figured he’d give Teresa 50%. Then his nephew showed him that Teresa and her girls had posted a photo shoot, something about Skinny Pizza. This was between him and Louie, so he called Louie, and Louie gave him lip, with his sister in the background, yelling, did he put up the money? It was his idea. At the pseudo shore house, Melissa says she thinks Teresa is just so selfish, she doesn’t want to share, and Joe says, it became ugly. Marge says, Teresa puts things in place that they can’t recover from, and in Melissa’s interview, she says she was so hopeful for a new beginning for Joe, and they stole it from her. She tears up, and says she feels bad for everyone that it’s getting to this point.
In Rachel’s interview, she says she goes above and beyond with everything, even planning parties. She’s a perfectionist in a bad way. She likes to make it more of an experience, and she can’t have John on the grill, or they’ll be eating charcoal patties. A giant clamshell with a live mermaid is set up, and in Jen’s interview, she says she doesn’t get the extra stuff. Teresa had a girl in a bubble – we flash back to that – and Rachel has a woman holding a bubble. She doesn’t know why all the Disney characters at parties, but it’s working. Since they have nothing to talk about except each other, Jackie says she thinks Jennifer is trying to be tough, but she’s not happy. She and Bill are fighting over how to raise the kids. In Dolores’s interview, she says, no matter how much Jennifer pissed her off, she thought she’d been a good friend to Jennifer. Jennifer had done a lot to her, but she doesn’t want problems for her and Bill; she likes them as a couple. If she ever cares for someone, there’s always a piece of her that still does. Some of the guests take a look at John’s stripped chest, and Joe #2 says, he couldn’t initiate Louie that way; he’d be crying. Evan shows them an Instagram post from Louie with Bill and Nate, where Louie is talking about God and forgiveness. In Joe #2’s interview, he says, maybe Louie should try teaching his fiancé forgiveness before trying to teach the world. Touché. They make their own video, and Joe says, last night was a great night. God told him to wax somebody. There’s heaping platters of wondrous barbecue and sides, and more talk about Teresa not inviting Melissa’s mother to the wedding. Melissa wonders, who doesn’t do something just because it’s the right thing to do? even though she knows the answer is, Teresa. Jen says, Danielle was upset about them talking behind her back, and Marge says, Danielle was talking behind her back.
In Marge’s interview, she says she doesn’t even want to have a conversation with Jennifer; she might catch on fire from the polyester. I’m not sure what that means. Is it highly flammable? Plus, it’s not 1970. Polyester is pretty amazing today. Dolores says, Paulie’s blood pressure was high, and he wasn’t feeling well, and Joe #2 asked what Dolores was doing to him. Jennifer suggests she and Marge get together some time, and Marge looks at her like she has two heads, as would I. In Danielle’s interview, she says she’s so mad, her brain is going to explode, and I wonder if I should get popcorn. She says, what everyone is hearing from Rachel isn’t true, and she doesn’t like holding things in. Marge tells Danielle that she was taken aback that Danielle would think she’s coming for her, and told Rachel that she had an arsenal. Danielle says she didn’t mean it that way, and she’s irritated that Rachel tried to create a divide. She calls Rachel over, and asks why Rachel said she claimed Marge was on the attack. Rachel corrects her, and says, Danielle told her that Marge had an arsenal of information. Danielle asks why Rachel is throwing her under the bus, and Rachel says, but that’s what Danielle told her. Marge asks if Danielle believes what anyone she had an argument with says about her, and Danielle says, Rachel is making her the bad guy when she was laughing about it at the time. Rachel asks what she said that was wrong, but Danielle can’t come up with anything. In Rachel’s interview, she says, Rachel is pissed and trying to throw her under the bus when she said nothing. Danielle says she was just repeating third party info, but Marge says, you can’t repeat things that aren’t true. It’s high school – graduate. In Danielle’s interview, she says she thought she and Rachel had a kumbaya thing going on. Now she’s seeing a different side, and she’s disappointed Rachel took advantage of their conversation and threw her under the bus.
Jackie asks if Dolores is okay, since she’d walked away from the conversation with Frank. Dolores says, it’s a touchy subject. She isn’t worried about Frank, and doesn’t want to hear it. In Dolores’s interview, she says, the women should worry about putting Paulie on a pedestal since that’s what these bitches have wanted for her for years.
Jen tells Teresa that she loves how Louie wants to make everything good, and Teresa says, if Joe #2 would have just called her about inviting his mother-in-law, she would have been receptive. If he had a problem, he should have called her. He’s making a mountain out of a mole hole [sic]. Louie asks to talk to Melissa, while the invitation conversation continues with Teresa. Louie takes Melissa’s hand and says he means this sincerely. The wedding is beautiful, but there are also bombs going off. Danielle joins Teresa’s table, and says she’s mad because they were all talking sh*t about her brother. When they were at Jen’s house, she was honest, and that should have been good enough. Jen says, she didn’t understand. If that’s what actually happened, it’s cuckoo. Danielle swears that’s what happened, and Jackie tells her, it didn’t make sense. Danielle says, after she blocked him, he called her like a raging maniac, and Jackie asks, what’s the rest of the story? Danielle wonders why she has to be villainized, and says she’s done explaining herself. She walks off, and in Marge’s interview, she says, Danielle is a drama queen, which I thought was a requirement to be in the franchise. In Danielle’s interview, she says, what they’re coming at her with is heartbreaking. They’re calling her out as a liar; everything she’s not. It would have hurt less if they’d sucker punched her.
In Marge’s interview, she says, Danielle was talking sh*t about her non-stop, and is she leaving? Maybe she should call Danielle’s brother and sister-in-law. They must have stories she can put in her arsenal. Rachel suggests Teresa should have invited Melissa’s mother out of respect, and Teresa snaps that she doesn’t know the whole story. Rachel tells her, the right thing to do is the right thing to do, regardless of the story, and in her interview, she says, Teresa created her own problem. Teresa interrupts Louie and Melissa’s conversation, and says she wants to know what Melissa’s problem is. Melissa tells her that she said she had issues with Melissa’s mom. Teresa tells her that she said there was a history with Melissa’s family. Louie keeps trying to tell Teresa that she interrupted, and finally says he doesn’t care if God came down and gave her a message. In Melissa’s interview, she says, there are two sides to Louie. He wants to look like the good guy who wants to fix it, but he can’t control his anger. It’s like the guy he wants to be, and the guy he really is. Joe #2 comes by, and Louie asks him to sit down. He says he’d love to have Melissa’s mom at the wedding, and Melissa says she wasn’t being judgmental; she was hurt. Louie says, Teresa was hurt too, which is the standard answer. He says they’re getting married in a month, and he wants peace, but Melissa says, Teresa is causing it all. Back at the table, Teresa tells everyone that Melissa has daddy issues, and Jackie asks if she doesn’t think that’s mean to say to someone who lost their dad at 16. Teresa responds by telling her, get out! like any well-adjusted person would. In Teresa’s interview, she justifies her comment by saying, Melissa had admitted she had daddy issues, so she had a leash on Teresa’s brother. Teresa tells Jackie not to get involved in her family’s sh*t, and Melissa decides to go see why the women are screaming. Louie asks if he and Joe can talk like they’re not back in the past. He lives with Joe’s four nieces, and wears Joe’s father’s pajamas to make them feel safe and loved.😐Teresa comes back, but Joe says she’s not in the right frame of mind. Louie tries to get them to talk using a pillow as a talking stick, but this works not at all. Teresa asks why Joe didn’t just call her instead of telling strangers their business. She would have invited Melissa’s mother in a heartbeat. While this is a super valid point, it’s coming from Teresa, so we know it would have made zero difference. Joe says, when she decided not to put them in the wedding, he’d called Louie and Gia, and asked them to tell her not to do this to Melissa. Teresa says she was so mad. She felt that they should have had her back more last year. We flashed back to Teresa berating Melissa for letting Marge talk behind her back about her boyfriend, and screaming at Joe for not being on her side. She says, if Joe wanted peace and for them to be in the wedding, he should have had her back more. Melissa comes back, and asks if they’re kumbaya-ing, and Teresa says she wanted Melissa to tell Marge to STFU. Melissa insists she did, and says, Teresa should have stuck up for Joe when Jennifer was talking about him. Joe says he’s not understanding who she is, and Teresa says she’s going. She gets up, and Melissa says, when Teresa is wrong, she takes off. Teresa runs away, screeching at Louie, fix it! Seriously, WTF with this woman? And Louie wears her dad’s PJs? I hope he washed them.
Melissa says, Teresa has deep hate in her heart, and in a puff of smoke, Teresa reappears. Joe asks, if she’s so happy, why is she so mean? He’s been happy for years. Teresa says she doesn’t think so. If he was happy he’d want to see this beautiful family. Melissa says, Teresa is the one who kept them out of the family; not the other way around. We flash back to Teresa backing up Jennifer, and calling Joe a bitch boy at the Reunion. Joe suggests he and Melissa go home, and says, they’re Teresa’s biggest disappointment in life. Teresa says, he can change that, and Joe says they’ll go to therapy, and addresses Teresa as the matriarch of our family. I think of my Aunt Agnes, matriarch of an Italian family, and how she’d probably smack Teresa silly after chasing her around the kitchen with a broom. In Jennifer’s interview, she says, any opportunity that Joe and Melissa have to make Teresa look bad, they double down on it. Melissa has a sweet face, and gets away with it like a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Marge and Danielle sit with Teresa and Louie, and Teresa tells Marge to make Melissa understand. Louie says he can’t take this. Teresa has to listen. She’s always talking and not listening; neither is her brother. Joe finds out he’s stuck behind Louie’s car, and comes back to ask Louie to move. He wonders why they’re sitting with Marge, since she supposedly was the cause of their problems. Louie tells him, stop, it’s not worth it, and Joe says, no matter what, he and Melissa do everything wrong. Teresa tells Marge that Melissa should want to make it better. She and Joe aren’t happy, because if Melissa was a good woman, she’d make it better between her and Joe. Marge asks if this is the life Teresa wants. Louie goes to move his car, and Melissa says she hasn’t done half the things Teresa accuses her of. In Melissa’s interview, she says, Louie also contributed. He can stop preaching. She’s good. Louie says he loves them, and wants them to be part of his and Teresa’s lives. Louie says, they can’t get back yesterday, since he gets his wisdom from motivational posters, and he thinks their family is going to learn the hard way. Teresa tells Marge, if Joe wants to be a part of her wedding, be a part of it. If not, God bless him. Which I think is similar to the southern, bless your heart.
This season, parties; a trip to Ireland, and a haunted castle; drinking; chickens; Rachel wants to adopt Jaiden; Danielle tells Melissa that someone claims to have seen her with another man; and Marge says, Danielle is a sh*t starter, which I also thought was a franchise requirement.

General Hospital
Selena brings Sonny an envelope, and says, it’s from their most recent gains. He says, any one of her guys could have brought it. Why the special delivery? She says she needed to speak to him, and asks if he’s aware the harbormaster was fired. He says he heard, and she says, he was her point person when her shipments came in. Sonny assured her easy passage for her merchandise. Without Vince, will that change?
Dante sees Brando at the gym and asks if he’s coming or going. Brando says, going; he just finished a workout. Dante asks if Sonny is around, and Brando says, Dante just missed him. He asks if Dante knows Sonny’s new guy, Dex, but Dante says he hasn’t really spoken to Dex. Why? Brando says he saw Dex earlier with Sonny. He couldn’t hear everything, but they were talking about Michael. It didn’t sound like good news. Dante says, Sonny would never hurt Michael, if that’s what Brando is worried about, but Brando says he’s not; it’s Dex. There’s just something about him. He’s seen guys like Dex in the service, real eager to please the commander, or boss, sometimes taking matters into their own hands. They’re trying to deal with a problem to score points. Dante asks if Brando thinks Dex sees Michael as a problem that needs to be solved to try and impress Sonny, and Brando says he does.
On the phone with Drew, Michael says, things got pretty tense, which is about average for this family. Dex walks in, covering the gun in his waistband, and Michael says he was hoping Drew could come up with something better… They’ll talk. He sees Dex, and asks if he can help him. Dex says he hopes so, and Michael asks what he’s doing here. Dex says, showing initiative.
At the pool – which I’m sure we’ll see a lot of now – Brad approaches Brook, and says he didn’t get a chance to say hi at the Society Set-Ups mixer. She tells him to cut to the chase. He’s clearly working up to something; just say it. He says, she’s big on social media, right? and she says she has a presence. He says he was wondering if she happened to see the GIF from the other night, and she says, Britt slogging her way drunk and drenched out of the pool? She laughs and says she saw it; everyone saw it. He says he’s just curious. What was the giveaway that Britt was overserved? She says, you mean wasted? Britt was drinking like a fish at the mixer. He should know; he kept refilling her drinks. He says he was trying to be a friend, and she says, friends don’t let friends make public rants about how love is futile. If anything, that parachute guy saved her some embarrassment from saying something more embarrassing. Now the only embarrassment she has to live with is the existence of that GIF. Any idea who posted it? He says he only sent it to one person, and she says, that was him? How could he do that to his supposed best friend? He says, Britt is absolutely his best friend. And yes, in retrospect, it was absolutely a bad idea to send that footage off to an influencer, but it’s just one GIF in a whole world of GIFs. Cody walks in, looking at said GIF on his phone, laughing.
On the phone, Britt says, it’s character assassination. That video was taken without her knowledge or consent… Yes, she knows it was a public place, but still, she wants that GIF deleted off the face of the earth… It’s a threat to her livelihood. She’s Chief of Staff at General Hospital. She can’t have her image smeared this way… Yes, she meant to say Co-Chief. Do they want to get fired? Since they’re so particular about details, find a legal way to get fix this before they both lose their jobs.
Gladys lies on the couch eating cookies, when Sasha comes past. Gladys asks if she’s going somewhere, and Sasha says, the kitchen to grab a glass of water. Does Gladys need one? Gladys says she’s good, and asks if Sasha would like a cookie; they’re delicious. Sasha says she knows. That’s why she bought them. They’re for the Deception support staff to thank them for their hard work. She was bringing them to work tomorrow. Gladys says, whoops. She guesses she’s support staff too, although she’s really suited for more, but there’s more cookies in the bakery box. Sasha says she’ll just save them for Brando and get more. Gladys says she’ll go with Sasha, but Sasha says she won’t. Gladys has to stop this; she’s driving Sasha crazy.
Britt leaves a message for Obrecht, and says she’s sorry she missed her again. She’s going to keep calling until Obrecht talks to her. They both said things they shouldn’t have. She doesn’t want to leave things this way. She’s not playing the degenerative disorder card, but Obrecht said it, life is short. Call her. She leaves her hotel room.
Sonny says, the new harbormaster won’t be an issue, and Selena asks what the basis is for his assurance. He says, the basis is he’s going to handle the situation. Understand? It’s his territory. Has she forgotten who controls what goes on here? Him. She says she meant no disrespect. She’s become aware that Sonny has a competitor for his coffee business. Now the unexpected firing of his associate. Since they’ve agreed to keep each other informed of possible challenges to their territories, she thinks it’s only prudent to ask – is someone new making a move?
Michael says, Sonny sent Dex? but Dex says, Mr. Corinthos doesn’t know he’s here, but he made sure no one saw him on his way to the stable. Michael says, make sure no one sees him on his way out, and turns his back, but Dex says, that was rude. Michael says, apparently not rude enough for Dex to get the message. This is private property, and Dex shouldn’t be here. Dex says he isn’t done. He came here for a reason. Dante walks in with Brando, and says, what reason would that be?
Brad tells Brook, parachute guy is back. She looks at Cody, and Brad says, by all means gawk. He can’t say he blames her. He looks hot in actual clothes too. Brook says she can’t disagree, and she has very high standards. He’s coming. Cody asks how it’s going, and Brad says, amazing. Cody asks if they mind if he joins them; he forgot to book a chaise. Brad says, yes…I mean, no… I mean we don’t mind. Please, join us. Cody says he appreciates it, and introduces himself. He shakes hands with Brad, who has a hard time letting go, until Brook gets up and steps between them, introducing herself. She says, he made quite the entrance the other night, when her phone dings. She says, it’s work; she has to go. She says, nice to meet Cody, and leaves. Cody says, if Brad has to go, Brad doesn’t have to stick around for him. Brad says he has nowhere else to be, and sits back down. Cody sits, and Brad says, Brook was right. That parachute landing was a real attention grabber. Cody says, it didn’t exactly go as planned, but Brad says, people were still buzzing about it. Cody says, about him, or the hot mess that fell in the pool? Britt walks up, and says she didn’t fall; he slammed into her. Cody says, we meet again.
Sasha says she agreed with Gladys living with her, but she didn’t agree to Gladys acting as her babysitter, or warden, or whatever she’s doing. Gladys asks, what is she doing? and Sasha says, Gladys is following her around everywhere, like she’s afraid to let Sasha out of her sight. Gladys says she’s just concerned about her favorite daughter-in-law, and Sasha says, that sounds cute and charming, but they both know what’s going on here, don’t they? Gladys says, maybe she’s hovering a bit too much, but she saw that paparazzo try to tempt Sasha with drugs, and doesn’t want Sasha to fall back into addiction. Sasha says she didn’t take the bait, and Gladys says she’s glad, but since Sasha won’t tell Brando about the pills, she has to stay close so she can recognize the signs if Sasha slips. Sasha says, she won’t slip, and Gladys tells her, says you. Who is Sasha fooling here, Gladys or herself? She’s done this dance before. They say, once an addict, always an addict. They have to stay vigilant. Sasha says she has to stay vigilant; her. Gladys can’t do it for her. Gladys can’t protect her from her addiction. If Gladys wants to know the truth, she can get drugs anytime. In their business, people are around everywhere, using or selling. She’d be surprised. Gladys says, not if she has anything to say about it, and Sasha says, that’s exactly her point. If she wanted to use, she could. She doesn’t care how much Gladys tries to helicopter her or run interference, she would find a way, and it wouldn’t be difficult. She went through a rehab program, remember? After her heart attack from tat cocaine laced with dextroamphetamine Cyrus gave her. That was a real wake-up call. She knows that in order to stay clean, she has to want to stay clean. And she does. Gladys asks if it isn’t good to have back-up, and Sasha takes Gladys’s hands, saying, she appreciates Gladys’s concern. She knows it’s coming from a place of love, but Gladys has to believe her; she’s completely fine. There’s a knock at the door, and Sasha finds a box outside. She asks if Gladys ordered something, but Gladys says, no, and Sasha sees it was forwarded from her old apartment. Gladys puts the remaining cookies in the kitchen, and Sasha opens the box. She takes out a tiny pair of work boots, and Gladys asks, what is it?
Britt says she saw Cody being led away in handcuffs. Why is he not in jail? He says he didn’t do anything wrong, and she says, he was arrested. He says, she was hammered. Maybe that’s why her memory is so spotty. How’s her head feel? Did she get enough water before she went to bed last night? The waiter brings Cody’s order, and Cody says, they can bill it to his room. Oh, he forgot; he already checked out. He wonders if the front desk still has his credit card info, but Brad says he’s got this. He tells the waiter to add it to his order, and put it on Selena Wu’s tab. Britt asks what he’s doing, and Brad says, just being friendly. Cody says he appreciates it, and Britt asks if she can talk to Brad a minute. They walk over to the bar, and Britt asks why Brad hates her. First he makes her an internet laughingstock, now he’s aiding and abetting the enemy? And since when is he comfortable living large off auntie dearest? Brad says, that’s a lot to unpack. First, he doesn’t hate her; he adores her. And he’s sorry. He was a little tipsy when he sent that footage of her climbing out of the pool to a friend. Secondly, Cody didn’t mean to knock her into the pool. She says, Cody? It’s Cody now? Brad says, that’s his name, and Cody approached him. Britt says, he did? She didn’t see that coming. He says he wishes, but sadly, it’s nothing like that. Brook was with him, and then she took off. Britt says, and he stayed to buy Cody lunch and a drink on auntie’s tab. He says, nothing wrong with showing some hospitality, and as he mentioned, Cody didn’t knock her into the pool on purpose. She says, right. She was just in his way. Brad says, she was standing awfully close to the edge when he landed, and she says, Brad means when he literally dropped out of the sky in an unsafe manner? He says, unsafe, but spectacular. By the way, congratulations; her memory is coming back. She says, if only she could forget, and looks at Cody, who’s already looking at her.
Gladys asks Sasha if this is supposed to be a joke. What kind of sicko would send those? Sasha says she bought them when she was still pregnant. She thought Brando would get a kick out of them, but they were backordered. She completely forgot about them. Gladys says she’ll make sure they’re returned, and Sasha says she knew they’d be too big for a newborn, but – she cries a little – but she figured Liam would grow into them eventually. There’s a knock at the door, and Gladys says, it better not be more deliveries, but it’s Brook. Gladys tells her, come in, and Brook says Gladys seems strangely happy to see her. She sees Sasha holding one of the boots, and asks, what’s going on? Sasha says, they were for Liam.
Dex says, Detective Falconari and Michael’s cousin; it’s a family reunion. Dante asks if Michael invited this guy onto the property, but Michael says, he doesn’t know who he is or why he’s here. Brando says, allow him to introduce Dex, Sonny’s new hire. Michael says he sees. He thinks Dex took a wrong turn, and Dex says, must have. Michael tells him, have a nice day, and Dex says he’s going. Brando follows him out, and asks if Dex is headed back to work. Dex asks, yeah, why? and Brando says he thinks he’ll follow, and tell Sonny about Dex’s bad sense of direction.
Dante asks if Michael is okay, and Michael says he’s fine. Dante asks what Dex wanted. Was he here about Sonny’s problems with his coffee business? Michael tells Dante, he said he was fine. Dante can drop the whole big brother thing, and mind his business.
Sonny tells Selena not to concern herself. He’s taking care of the situation. He thinks he knows the source. She says, which is? and he says, he’s handling it. She says she’s sure he is, but if there’s anything she can do… He says, Miss Wu, all due respect, like I said before, it doesn’t concern you. Leave it alone.
Britt tells Brad not to think he skated past what he did to her by recording that humiliating video. Cody orders another drink, and tells the waiter to put it on the same tab, and give himself a nice tip. Britt says, she’s still furious, but Brad says, he just wanted to record what she said for posterity. She says she didn’t believe that excuse the first time either, but he says, she seemed a little persuaded. She says, it was just an act for her mother’s sake. If she smells fear, Britt is done for. He says, it sounds like her mother is just worried about her, and she says, since when is he on her mother’s side? He says, it’s not about sides… She says, what? and he says, he gets that she’s upset that he sent that video. He was trying to be relevant or something, but it was wrong, and not okay. And even though he was a little lubricated himself, he should have been looking out for her, like he’s trying to do right now, but she makes it impossible sometimes. She asks what he’s talking about, and he says, something’s going on with her and he’s worried. She’s been acting weird for a while now. At first he thought it was about Jason, and he’s sure that’s part of it, but there’s something else. They’re besties, right? Talk to him. Tell him what’s going on with her… for real.
Gladys tells Brook, Sasha forgot she ordered them, and they were delivered here. Brook says, it must have been a real shock, appearing out of the blue like that, but Sasha says she’s fine. Brook says she doesn’t see how that can be true, and Sasha says, it has to be. She’s okay. Really. What brings Brook by? Brook says, just some Deception business; they can talk about it tomorrow. Sasha says she’d love to talk business. What’s up? Brook says, Lucy heard from the people at the Home and Heart Shopping Channel. They want to give Deception a one-hour slot. Sasha says, that’s amazing. What do they have to do? Brook says, they don’t have to do anything but get Sasha ready. She’ll chat up the talk show host, talk up the products, maybe do a little demonstration. Gladys says, this is great. They’re going to have to increase their inventory. She loves the Home and Heart. She’s seen stuff sell out in 20 minutes, and then the host has to vamp for the rest of the hour. Awkward. Brook sees Sasha look panicked, and says, that won’t happen. Gladys wonders if she has more faith in their products than Brook, but Brook says she has no doubt their cosmetics will sell. She just has to remind Maxie and Lucy to bulk up their inventory before they go on the air. They’ll make sure they don’t sell out. Sasha’s hands start to shake, and she says she’ll be right back. Gladys asks where she’s going, and Sasha says, the bathroom. Please offer Brook some lemonade and cookies. She leaves, and Brook asks how Sasha is really doing. In the hallway, Sasha leans on the wall.
Dante tells Michael, mind his own business? They came because Brando had a bad vibe about that Dex kid, and it turns out he was right. Dex came here to intimidate Michael or rough him up. They wanted to make sure she was okay. Michael says, Dante doesn’t need to get involved, but Dante says, it’s too late; he is involved. Dex is one of Sonny’s guys apparently, and Sonny’s business has had some setbacks lately; Corinthos Coffee has lost some lucrative contracts. The harbormaster was abruptly fired, and the new one is being obstructive. Does Michael know anything about that? Michael says, every business has it’s ups and downs, even Sonny’s. Dante says, that’s what he thought. Why can’t Michael see that going after Sonny makes everyone’s lives worse? Is it all worth it just to try to humiliate their father?
Sonny comes out of his office at Pozzulo’s, sees Brando with Dex, and asks, what’s going on? Brando says, he and Dante found Dex with Michael. Michael’s okay; they got there in time. Dex asks what Brando is talking about. They were just having a conversation; he wasn’t going to clip the guy. Even if they hadn’t rolled up, Michael would have been okay… eventually. Sonny says, Listen. Dex even touches one of his kids, and he’ll kill Dex himself.
Britt says, Brad is right; she’s been going through some things. He asks if she wouldn’t feel better talking with someone like him. She’s making it hard on herself just keeping it all in. She says she can’t say anything if he doesn’t stop talking, and he says, talk then. She says she was about to, and now she has to compose her thoughts again. Sometimes he’s on her last nerve. Brad says, he’s coming, and Brad says, who? What? Cody asks if she’s done yelling at this guy, putting his arm around Brad’s shoulders. If this is how she talks to her friends… She says, how she talks to her friends is none of his business, and something he’ll never experience. Now why doesn’t he leave before she changes her mind, and sues him for bodily harm? He looks her up and down, and says, her body doesn’t look harmed to him, and she asks if he ever stops. He says, unlike you, Dr. Westbourne, I prefer to be nice to people; smile and not bark. She asks how he knows her name, and he says, it’s all over his feed, and shows her his phone.
Gladys tells Brook, stupid supply chain. Sasha turned pale as a ghost when she saw these. It didn’t feel good to her either. Brook says she’s so sorry. She’ll take them when she leaves, and donate them. Gladys thanks her, and says, the sooner they’re out of here, the better. Brook says, she and Chase gathered all of Bailey’s belongings when she moved home with Maxie; her clothes, her toys, the 552 baby accessories you didn’t even know existed until you were caring for a child. But they still forgot some things in the nursery at the Quartermaine mansion; some onesies she outgrew, a stuffed animal. A few weeks after Brook moved home, she went into the nursery to get a toy for Wiley, and she stopped in her tracks. She started going through the drawers and the closets, and that’s when she found the stuffed animal. She just sat in the rocking chair and bawled. And that’s with her knowing Bailey is alive and well and living with her real mom. She can’t imagine what it’s like for Sasha to be reminded of Liam. Gladys says, maybe she should check on Sasha, but Brook says, she hasn’t been gone long. Gladys says, she’d still feel better if she looked in on her, and Brook says, she understands Sasha is upset, but is there another reason Gladys is concerned about Sasha? Gladys says, Sasha’s her family. There’s no such thing as being too concerned. Brook says, but she seems overly worried. Is there a reason for that?
Michael says he doesn’t want trouble with Dante, but every time they talk, it’s clear Dante is siding with Sonny. Dante says, he’s not siding with anybody; he’s just trying to keep the peace. Michael keeps escalating things. Sonny’s not working against him. Michael says, Sonny’s siding with Nina; he testified for her. Apparently, it’s not her fault that she didn’t tell Sonny he had a family waiting for him, and then Sonny tells the judge that Nina should be able to see Wiley. It wasn’t a surprise, but it still felt like a betrayal. Dante says he can’t defend Sonny on that one. He doesn’t agree with what he did in court. Michael says, and Sonny’s testimony was just a start. Then Scotty started questioning him about Claudia Zaccara’s death. According to him, Michael bludgeoned a helpless woman, and Nelle was justified in hiding Wiley from him. Dante says, who cares what Scotty says? He’s full of crap. Michael says, he was acting on Nina’s orders, and there was Sonny in the courtroom, sitting on her side. So don’t talk to him about peace. He doesn’t want peace. Sonny didn’t just betray Michael and his family; he betrayed himself, his code that he instilled in Michael his whole life. Family first, right? Sonny doesn’t care about his family; he proved that. Dante says, maybe Michael can tell him how messing up Sonny’s business balances the scales, but Michael says he’s not doing anything illegal. Dante says, Michael got the harbormaster fired, and Michael says, they all know he was on the take. Dante can’t tell him that as a law enforcement officer, he’s unhappy that guy is out of commission, but Dante says, he couldn’t care less. He cares about Michael. This isn’t like him. Michael says, because it’s on him to forgive and make allowances, while Sonny gets what he wants, takes what he wants, and everyone around him has to pay the price. No more. He wants Wiley to grow up the son of a successful businessman, not the grandson of a mobster. Dante says, he wants Wiley to grow up the son of a successful businessman obsessed with revenge? Does that make Michael better than Sonny? If Michael wants to cut Sonny out of his life, do it, but he’s never going to be done with Sonny if his entire life revolves around revenge.
Sonny tells Dex, my family, everyone in it, and that includes Michael, is off limits. Does he make himself understood? Dex says, absolutely understood, boss, and Sonny tells Dex to wait while he walks Brando out. Sonny says he’s grateful for what Brando did, but why did he go after Dex in the first place? Brando says, when he was at the gym, he heard part of Sonny and Dex’s conversation. He wasn’t trying to eavesdrop; he couldn’t help it. Sonny says, go on, and Brando says, there was something about Dex’s attitude that rubbed him the wrong way. It was instinct, you know? Sonny says he appreciates everything Brando does for his family, and Brando says, anytime. Sonny tells him, go to that beautiful wife of his, and Brando leaves. Sonny says he gave Dex a job; what was it? Dex says, to find out if any other vendors have canceled orders with Sonny’s business, and Sonny asks where he heard Michael in that order. Dex says, nowhere, sir, but… and Sonny says, no buts. When he gives Dex an order, Dex needs to obey it. Do what he wants; nothing less, nothing more. Dex says, that doesn’t work for him.
Britt says, delete it, reaching for Cody’s phone, but he dances away, asking, why would he do that? She says, the video was taken out of context. It doesn’t show him knocking her into the water. He says she should be thanking him for his skills. If he had plowed into her at full speed, who knows? She asks why he’s even standing here. He should be locked up for creating a public nuisance, and flying a parachute without a license. Cody says he doesn’t know if that’s an offense, and she says, as far as she can tell, he’s just a drifter who literally blew into town, who she can’t wait to blow back out. The only reason she hasn’t sued him is that she doesn’t want him hanging around for the court date. He says, she’s welcome to try; he doesn’t really have anything worth taking. He was paid to parachute into that pool, which he did. He can’t be held responsible because she was standing too close to the edge. Furthermore, he has evidence she wasn’t injured as a result. He knows she walked out of that pool of her own considerable glory. He flashes his phone, and she says, if he brings that up again, the phone is going to end up at the bottom of the pool. Selena walks up and says hello to Britt. She says, and he is…? Cody tells her, Cody Bell; he’s blowing through. Selena says, she and Brad have a meeting, and Brad says, that’s why he’s here. She says, shall we? and they leave, Brad telling Britt, play nice. Britt says, Cody can leave now, and he says he will once he gets what he’s owed. She says she doesn’t owe him anything, and he says, not everything is about her. He’s waiting for someone. She tells him, wait somewhere else.
Brook asks Gladys if there’s something she doesn’t know about. Is that why Gladys is staying here? Gladys asks if Brook thinks it’s strange they’d want her here, and Brook says, come on. Sasha isn’t just her friend; she’s a pivotal part of Deception. She wants to know so she can help. Sasha comes back, and says she’ll be okay. She just needed to splash water on her face. Home and Heart is a huge opportunity for Deception. She’s excited for them, but has to admit she’s a little nervous, being on camera, having all the focus on her. That’s why she wants to prepare. It’s the best way she knows to conquer her jitters. Brook says she totally understands. They’ll prep her, coach her, they’ll beat those jitters into submission. Sasha says, let’s get to it, and they all sit. Sasha says, they should discuss which products to present, and the order to present them to maximize sales. Brook says she’ll take notes to forward to Lucy. She thinks they should start with a bang to get the audience’s attention. She was thinking lips. Sasha tells Gladys that she’s not on the clock, so she doesn’t have to stick around for this, but Gladys says she’s not going anywhere. This is fun. Just pretend she’s not here.
Selena says she’s impressed with Brad’s work so far. He’s accomplished every one of the tasks she’s given him. Last night at the poker game, Judge Abbott told her that he was quite charming. Selena smiles for the first time ever, and he says he’s actually enjoying it so far. She says, he sounds surprised, and he tells her that he had his heart set on working at GH. He was thrown when she intervened, but he had no idea what the job would entail. She says she’s aware he was hesitant to get involved with one of her enterprises, however, she has a talent for matching people with the task they’re best suited for, and so far, he’s impressed her. He says, that’s great to hear, because he thinks he’s ready for more. He wants to make a real contribution to the family business.
Sonny asks what Dex said, and Dex tells him, with all respect, he doesn’t think Sonny wants a robot. He wants someone who can think for himself; who can anticipate problems and deal with them so he doesn’t have to. Sonny says, Dex thinks that’s him? Sonny barely knows him. Dex hasn’t earned his trust. Dex says, yes, sir. He’s sorry for going to see his son. He knows he went too far, but he was trying to impress Sonny. He knows he can do more for Sonny, and wanted to prove it. He didn’t think it through. He blew it and he’s really sorry. He just wanted a chance to show his initiative. Sonny says, he appreciates Dex’s enthusiasm, but he’s not there yet, and the way he’s going to get there is to listen to what Sonny says, and obey his orders. Dex asks if that means he didn’t screw it all up. Is Sonny giving him another chance?
Britt looks at her phone, and says, ten emails from the Board… Now eleven. She sighs.
Selena says, Brad has no experience with her organization. He needs to study and learn the business; then complete the necessary training. He says he’s up for the challenge, and she tells him, so you say. Why should she invest in him now? He says, because they’re family? and she says she’s been let down by family before. He says, who? and she says, it’s time to go. He can prove his dedication right now. She leaves, and he follows her out.
On the phone, Britt leaves a message for Terry, saying, she wouldn’t blame Terry if she was avoiding her calls. She’s probably not coming in today, for obvious reasons. If Terry is fielding calls from the Board, she’s so sorry. She’ll talk to Terry later. Cody sits on the chair next to hers, and says, careful; her face is going to freeze that way. She says, this whole pool debacle is ruining her life and her reputation. How is anyone going to take her seriously now? She swears she should sue. He says, she absolutely should.
Sasha comes out to the kitchen, and takes what looks like an OTC pill bottle out of her bag. She opens it, and Gladys comes flying out. She says, no! and knocks them it from Sasha’s hand, scattering pills everywhere, when Brando walks in.
There’s a knock at Sonny’s office door, and Frank says, it’s Dante. Sonny asks if Dante is here about Michael. He knows all about what happened. Dante says he figured Brando would have told him. Who is this Dex guy? What is he doing? Sonny says he had a conversation with Dex, and put him on notice. He can tell Dante right now, Dex isn’t going to do anything without checking with him first. He’s going to follow Sonny’s orders, believe him.
On the phone, Michael says he’ll circle back with Drew when he gets back to the office. He’s running a quick errand. Dex shows up, and Michael says, twice in one day. Is everything okay? Dex says, sure thing, boss. Sonny slapped his hand, and he promised to be good from now on. Michael says, Dex coming to the Quartermaine estate was out of line. His family is off limits. Dex says, he’s heard that one before, and Michael asks if he looks like he’s joking. Dex says, it’s just ironic considering Michael hired him to take down his father.
Tomorrow, Sasha insists she’s not using drugs; Spinelli asks if his outfit meets with Sam’s approval; Esme says, love is all around; and Cody tells Britt to take back her power.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
Garcelle brings her sister Chantal to a beach house she bought, and is planning on tearing down. In Garcelle’s interview, she says, she didn’t grow up knowing anyone who had more than one home; some didn’t even have one. Buying a beach house is a big deal. Her vision is to build something that’s 2700 square feet, modern, with different decks. She wants a place where her kids can go, have fun, and create memories. So when she’s gone, they can say, cool. Mom did this. She tells Chantal that she’s thrilled to be able to work and do this, and Chantal says, it’s the work ethic that was instilled in them; hard work pays. Their mom said, work hard and study hard, and it will work out. Garcelle says she’s proud of herself, and Chantal says she’s proud of Garcelle too. In her interview, Garcelle says, she has four sisters and two brothers, and she’s the baby. Chantal lives in Miami, and visits the most. They don’t see each other often, but they talk on the phone. Chantal is the type of person who laughs at her own jokes, and sometimes Garcelle wonders if Chantal needs her one the phone, but they have a good time when they see each other. They go to the beach, and in Garcelle’s interview, she says she loves the beach. It reminds her of growing up in Haiti, bringing her favorite fruit, kenap, and hanging out. She would see the homes, and think, one day… and one day is here. She tells Chantal that it’s her happy place, but where’s her man? Chantal says, he’s in the water, and they laugh.
Dorit meets Erika for lunch, and tells her about the therapy session. She feels it’s good and helpful, and Erika says, it’s painful too. Dorit says, it’s draining, and in her interview, she says she’s doing EMTR therapy, and we flash back to her session. She says, the more she does it, the more she’ll find the tools to manage her anxiety, which is the ultimate goal. Erika says, because Dorit got into therapy right away, she’s on her way to recovery, and Dorit asks if Erika got an update on Lois. Erika says, it’s bad, and we flash back to LisaR telling Dorit that Lois is in hospice, and has a do not resuscitate order. Dorit tells Erika that she feels broken hearted, so she can only imagine how LisaR feels. In Dorit’s interview, she says, PK told her to take the girls out of town, and Diana said she’d fire up the jet. She tells Erika about the plan to go to Mexica, and says, they’re taking a PJ courtesy of Diana. Erika says she’s excited.
In a different restaurant, Kyle meets Crystal for lunch. Crystal says she texted Kathy, who said, planning Paris’s wedding is a nightmare. In Kyle’s interview, she says, all eyes are going to be on them, so everything has to be perfect. There’s a lot of pressure on Kathy and Paris. They talk about Crystal getting triggered, and Crystal says she’s not used to conflict. It was a hard topic, and she held it in; she didn’t want to talk about it. Kyle says, Crystal brought up something from a year ago, and we flash back to Kyle saying she doesn’t remember Sutton saying anything horrific. She says, in Crystal trying to defend herself to Garcelle, she threw Sutton under the bus. And in not saying what it was, she left it open for people to interpret it was worse than it was. Crystal says she’s not going to repeat it, and Kyle tells her, she shouldn’t have said it then. In her interview, Kyle says, Sutton made the I-don’t-see-color comment – we flash back to that – Crystal corrected her, and she apologized. Kyle is confused. She asks Crystal what was so dark, but Crystal tells her, it’s not her place to say the details. Kyle says she thinks Crystal is gaslighting the situation, but Crystal says she’s just being careful. Kyle asks if she isn’t being dramatic, and Crystal asks Kyle to give her the benefit of the doubt. Kyle says, Crystal needs to start being direct, and not passive/aggressive, and Crystal promises to do everything possible to be more open and direct. I’m actually surprised that, not only is Kyle having Sutton’s back, she hit the nail on the head as to what Crystal’s issue is.
Diana visits Kyle, whose dogs try steal the food while she’s answering the door. Kyle says she’s tired from wedding, but it was beautiful, and Paris was funny and sweet. In Kyle’s interview, she says, last night was the beginning of Paris’s three-day wedding. It was a small event with around 200 people. We see a clip, and Kyle says, it was a special moment she’ll never forget. She tells Diana that she couldn’t sleep. She also got the exciting news that Farrah is engaged; she turned her ring around at the wedding. She asks Diana how the baby is, and Diana says, too brave. In her interview, Kyle says she can’t imagine having a toddler at this point, but maybe in one year she’ll be nana, grandma, or granny. It’s weird to think about. Diane says, it’s cute that Eli trying to walk, but it’s a lot of work. She wants more babies, but after Eli was born, she got pregnant again. She was five months along with a boy, and everything was going well, but then she went to an appointment and found out the baby had died. In Diana’s interview, she says, they had figured out the baby had been dead for a couple of weeks, which can be dangerous for the mother because of infection. She tells Kyle, to have a miscarriage past twelve weeks is rare, and she almost bled to death. In her interview, she says, it felt like a nightmare she couldn’t wake up from. She went from being on top of the world to nothingness. Kyle asks if she can try again, and Diana says, they told her, it’s fine now, but they have no idea what happened. In her interview, Diana says, she’d like to give it one more try, so it doesn’t end on that note. But God laughs while we make plans, so they’ll just see how it goes. She tells Kyle that it’s the first time she’ll be away from the baby when they go to Mexico.
Garcelle meets Sutton for dinner, and says, last night was strange. Sutton says, she and Crystal talked it out over the summer, and Garcelle asks what it was Sutton said. Sutton says, she told Crystal a story about looking out… We flash back to Sutton telling Crystal that she was looking at the pool, and saw her white child, with children who were Black, Chinese, and a red-headed Irish Catholic. She thought, this is what it should be. Crystal says she doesn’t disagree with Sutton, but she doesn’t believe it’s enough anymore. Sutton has to do more. Garcelle wonders what Crystal found dark, and Sutton tells her, that’s exactly what she said. In Garcelle’s interview, she wonders if she’s missing something. Sutton views it as light, and Crystal as so dark. Is there a missing piece to this puzzle? Sutton says she wants to move on, and Garcelle says, they will when everyone knows what Sutton said. That can’t be the only thing. Sutton says, it’s all she can think of, and Garcelle tells her to watch her back. Crystal alluded to something dark, and that’s not a friend. Sutton says, it’s very scary.
November 15, 2021. In LisaR’s interview, she says, her mom passed away in hospice. She was 93½, and you know it’s coming, but you want to keep your loved one alive. Lois had stipulated no feeding tube, no resuscitation, nothing. We see pictures of Lois throughout her life, and LisaR says, the hardest decision in that moment was making the decision not to keep her alive. It was really hard. She cries, and we flash back to Lois on the show over the years. I am definitely no fan of LisaR’s, but I feel for her. The loss of a parent, or someone close, is a feeling of grief that’s universal. LisaR says, the world loved Lois, and to be able to share her was a great gift. She was such a good human being. She was such a light, and LisaR feels lucky to come from that. Kyle calls Erika, and Erika says, she didn’t feel comfortable asking when LisaR was coming back, but she understands if LisaR doesn’t want to go on a girls trip just after losing her mom. Kyle says she hopes LisaR comes; they can toast to Lois. Erika says, many times, and Kyle says, when you’re going through something like this, you want a distraction.
They meet at the airport, and Kyle hugs LisaR, saying, she’s happy LisaR decided to come. In LisaR’s interview, she says, they were there over a week, and took care of the stuff you have to take care of when someone passes away. She knew she had to go on the trip; her mom would be mad if she didn’t. She talked to the girls and Harry, and they said, Lois would want her to go. In Dorit’s interview, she says she knows it will be nice for LisaR to be around people who will make her laugh and support her. She hopes it’s a good experience and trip for her. They get on the PJ, and Kyle says, first class all the way.
On the plane, Dorit says she thinks they should go to the hotel and freshen up, then have a nice dinner at the restaurant in the resort. The arrive at Punta de Mita, and take two limos to the hotel. Kyle says, Sutton, Erika, and Crystal are in the other car, and wonders if there’s awkwardness. Garcelle is also in the other car, and there’s heavy silence until she says she bets Dorit is speaking Spanish to the driver. Sutton says, they always respond in English, and sure enough, we see she’s right. Garcelle says, Diana always flies in her people ahead of her, and we see Diana’s team fixing her suite. In Diana’s interview, she says she travels so much, she sends people ahead to set up the place the way she wants it, and to make sure wherever she’s going is in good condition. She knows her team is taking care of it, and wherever she goes will be amazing. Diana’s stylist Lia asks if they can make the closet taller. The women arrive and the hotel manager says, they’re nestled in paradise. They’re met with a drink made from raicilla (similar to tequila) and ferment of coconut. Dorit pronounces it yummy, and I think, it would have to be to get me to drink it. It sounds disgusting. Diana gets to the presidential suite, and she and Lia check out the view. Diana says she can’t wait to get in the water.
They go to dinner, and LisaR says, it hasn’t hit her yet, but Kyle says, it’s only been two days. LisaR says, you think differently when it’s your mom, and Kyle says, no matter how old you are, you want your mom. LisaR says, it wasn’t how she wanted to see her, and Kyle says, she lived an incredible, vibrant life. LisaR says, she had all her faculties, and could hear and see, and Kyle says, she was surrounded by her entire family. LisaR says, Lois loved being famous. She would ask how many likes a post got. Diana says, she was so cute, and they toast to Lois. Dorit apologizes for being late, saying, she has a room on the ground floor. There were people outside, and it was very triggering. In Dorit’s interview, she says, she was put in a beautiful suite, but she already had anxiety over going on the trip. Feeling safe is an obstacle she’s trying to overcome.
LisaR asks if she missed anything while she was gone, and Sutton says she had her store event. Out of phony politeness, LisaR asks how it went, and Sutton says, it was successful, and thanks everyone for coming. LisaR says, the pictures looked fun. She’s glad it went well. There’s serious radio silence at the table, and LisaR says, they’re awfully quiet. Sutton says she’s been busy, and missed a lot too. There was a conversation without her at Crystal’s party. Kyle says she filled Sutton in because it felt strange to have the conversation without Sutton. We flash back to Garcelle filling Sutton in, and Sutton says she doesn’t want to be misconstrued. Crystal said they’d had a dark conversation, and Crystal knows her character and her family. They come from a place of love, and in her house, they express love to everyone. She wanted to make that clear, and doesn’t want any untruths to be spoken that might be damaging. We flash back to Crystal telling the women, a lot more was said that was very dark. Crystal says, it made her uncomfortable, but they talked through it. Sutton says, it was last year, and she wants to be able to trust the friendship they’re developing. Crystal says, the tone was heavy and uncomfortable, and Dorit says, Crystal told them what was said was a lot worse, and it was dark. Crystal says, words are like Rorschach tests, and Garcelle says, what’s that? Someone says, a blot test, and Crystal says, she knows these are big words. Really? I have no words. Garcelle says, they understand big words, and in her interview, she says she has some big words for Crystal, but she doesn’t want to use them. It might make her feel uncomfortable. Diana says, Crystal is the youngest, but Dorit says, 38 isn’t a baby, and Diana says, when she was in her 30s, she was naïve. Sutton says, she was coming from a place of love, and Crystal tried to assassinate her character. That makes her nervous about their friendship. Erika says, she’s in awe of what she’s hearing. It’s kind of what she was saying last year. Sutton says, she wasn’t trying to assassinate Erika’s character, and Garcelle agrees, this is different. You can’t compare the situations. In her interview, Garcelle says, Erika was being judged by the whole world. Sutton was just asking questions, wondering if they’d be in trouble because they knew too much. We flash back to Sutton saying she talked to an attorney, and Garcelle says, Crystal deliberately tried to assassinate Sutton’s character; that’s the difference.
Kyle asks if Crystal isn’t making things up, but Crystal insists she’s not. Sutton said things that were hurtful. When are they going to stop denying her experience? Kyle says, Crystal told them, the things that were said so horrible, she couldn’t talk about it. That’s what she means by Crystal gaslighting. In Crystal’s interview, she says, if LisaR or Erika said dark, no one would care, but because she did, it’s horrific; it’s too much, too intense. They see her as someone who’s easy to attack, judge, and poke at. I seriously doubt either one of them would have used that word, but okay. Garcelle says, they’re talking like Sutton’s not here, and Sutton says she knows what she said. Erika asks what she thinks Crystal is accusing her of, and Sutton says she doesn’t want any insinuation about her personal character. Erika wonders if Sutton wants Crystal to say she doesn’t think Sutton is racist, and Dorit says, it’s not about the content of the conversation, but the insinuation. Erika says, the insinuation that she’s a racist, and LisaR says, this is where it gets dangerous. Crystal is dangling a dangerous carrot. Erika says, people will fill in the blanks with something worse, and Sutton says, here we go again. She’s f***ing pissed.
Sutton tells them, she said nothing wrong and nothing bad; that’s the truth. Crystal says she didn’t bring it up, but Sutton says, she did. She has a pattern with this with friends. She makes up lies behind their backs, and she needs to stop it. Sutton is telling her this because she likes Crystal. Erika wonders how the friends figure in, and in Sutton’s interview, she says, Beverly Hills is a small town. People who were no longer friends of Crystal’s warned Sutton that Crystal likes to make sure she’s best friends with the most powerful girl in the group. And she’ll do anything to get there. In LisaR’s interview, she says, she heard what Sutton is talking about, but chose not to use it. Kyle says she’s not trying to go back, and Crystal says, then go forward. Kyle says she was the only other person there, and has no choice but to say this is what she witnessed. In Crystal’s interview, she says, Kyle is choosing to focus on what serves her, not what’s important and might be hurtful to Crystal or people of color. In other words, she’s not focusing on Crystal. Kyle says, Crystal made it sound worse than it was, and in her interview, she says, it is possible she missed something that triggered Crystal? She’ll give Crystal that, but then say what it was. Erika tells them, someone tell her what was said, and Sutton says, it was about how she’s raised her family to have multicultural friends; everyone is welcome. In Kyle’s interview, she says, now she gets it. Crystal is confused. The conversation didn’t take place at the same time as the one in Tahoe about not seeing color; it was the next day. We flash back to the flash back, and Kyle says, she did hear the story, just not when Crystal said. She didn’t think it was dark then, and doesn’t think it’s dark now. Garcelle says, Sutton didn’t say anything horrible. It didn’t seem dark to her; not as dark as Crystal made it out to be. Crystal asks if Garcelle doesn’t find it problematic? and Garcelle says, no, thereby debunking Crystal’s theory about people of color. She says, Crystal alluded to something that could hurt Sutton’s reputation, and Sutton says, the shame of it is, she likes Crystal as much as she hates her. Crystal says she’s sorry, and Sutton says, thanks a lot.
Next time, surfing – or not; Erika tells Crystal that Sutton called her a liar; Sutton needs to take a break; and Garcelle says, Erika is bugging the sh*t out of her. I love Garcelle.
💡 I have an idea. Why don’t they accept the fact that Crystal likes to over-dramatize things, and translate it in their heads? Like when a guy has the man flu and says he’s dying. You know this means he’s just feeling like crap. Seriously, it would solve the biggest problem on this show besides Erika’s insecurities. Probably everybody has one friend with whom they have to translate what they’re saying into normal words. I love how she said words were like a Rorschach blot. Nope. A chair is a chair, not a cloud.

General Hospital
Curtis visits Stella at the hospital, and says, someone’s got a lot of fans, when he sees all the flowers. She asks if that surprises him, but he says, not at all. There’s a lot of people in Port Charles pulling for her to be on the mend. How is she feeling? She says like she never had a stroke. He has an in with a doctor. Maybe he can pull some strings and get her released. He says he doesn’t have to; she’s released today. She wishes someone had told her, and nearly jumps out of bed. He tells her to take it easy. He wanted to do the honors, and as soon as the paperwork is completed, he’s taking her home with him. She protests, but he says, no argument. He wants to make sure her recovery goes as smoothly as possible. She says he’d do that for her, after what she’s done?
Jordan walks in with a bouquet of flowers, and Portia takes it she’s there to see Stella. Jordan asks how she is, and Portia says, on the mend. She should make a full recovery. Jordan says, that’s good news. The last time they saw each other, they had a disagreement. Portia says, same here. As much as she hates to say it, maybe it’s good Stella doesn’t remember much about the past few days.
On the phone at the gallery, Trina tells Spencer that it’s okay if he’s having second thoughts about the party, but he says, au contraire, Mademoiselle. The grand fete is still – as they say in her country – on. She says it’s his country too, but he says he’s a citizen of the world. As is his père; he’s leaving for Dubai tonight. Prepare herself for decadence not seen since the Holy Roman Empire fell victim to its own debauchery. Dress accordingly. She asks, what time? and he says, whenever she wants. The party won’t start until she gets there. Ava walks in, and says, don’t tell her that was the elusive Victor. Trina says, not Victor; Spencer.
Nikolas looks at Ryan’s letter, when the doorbell rings. He lets Laura and Doc in, and thanks them for coming, telling them, there have been a few developments. Laura says, developments? and Doc asks if it’s about his stalker. Laura says, please tell her that he and Spencer aren’t on the outs again. Nikolas says, this isn’t about Spencer, and Spencer comes out with a suitcase. Laura says, speak of the devil, and Spencer asks if they’re talking about him. Laura says they are now. She asks where he’s going, and he says he’s not going anywhere; this is father’s. Shouldn’t Nikolas be on his way?
Obrecht and Scotty lounge at the pool (🍷), and Scotty tells her to take her cover-up off. She’s got curves… like the Grand Prix. He makes an hourglass shape with his hands, and tells her to flaunt it. She says he flatters her, but the harsh morning sun on her fair skin, combined with his volatile proximity, may cause her to spontaneously combust. He says, that’s hot, and she says she sees what he did there. He says he’d like to see what he does in his penthouse. What say they go back and try out the sprinkler system? She plays with her hair, and says perhaps they can conduct their own fire drill. The passionately kiss, when Britt appears, and says, decorum please? They may have scarred her for life.
It’s lunchtime, and Jason asks if Donna can take a bite for herself. She does and he says, wow! Look at that. Good job. They fist bump, and Carly walks in. Donna says, daddy.
Obrecht says only Britt’s presence could make this morning more perfect than it already was. Scotty says, if her presence was an hour later, it would have been better, and Obrecht laughs. Britt tells him, she has to say, she’s never seen her mother this happy. He says he’s glad because he’s happy as a clam at high tide. Life couldn’t be better. Britt and her mother exchange a look, and he gets up, saying, he’s sorry. He just put his foot in his mouth. Britt says, it’s fine, but he says, it was insensitive and rude, and that’s his modus operandi. He wants to apologize. She says she really doesn’t need that, but Obrecht says she’s receiving an apology. Savor the moment. Scotty says Obrecht told him about the gift Britt’s father left her, and Britt tells him, he can say Huntington’s. He says he’s sorry she has it, and she thanks him, but she really doesn’t want to talk about it. She’s living in the moment, and for the moment. Obrecht says, and thankfully, without Jason Morgan. He would have gotten her killed faster than any debilitating hereditary disease. Britt says she doesn’t want to talk about him either, and puts her stuff on a nearby chair. Obrecht says, if it’s any comfort, she destroyed Jason.
Jason tells Donna, he misses her daddy too. Carly says, good morning. How’s her sweet girl? She thanks Jason for feeding Donna, and he says, his pleasure. She says he’s a pro. He was so good with Michael. Jason knew how to take care of him before she did. I gaze with satisfaction at the moss bowl on the kitchen island, back home again. He says, those were some good times, and she says she knows. She takes a sip of coffee, and says, another plus of him living there. His coffee is way better than hers. She guesses they have to talk about their problem.
Curtis says, of course (🍷) he wants Stella with him, and she says that’s sweet of him, but she has the feeling that, before her stroke, she upset a whole lot of people. People he cares a great deal about. He asks what exactly she remembers, when Jordan walks in, and asks how Stella is feeling. She was so worried. Stella asks if Curtis will give them a moment, and he says if she needs anything, he’ll be a holler away. He leaves, and Jordan says Stella sure has a lot of admirers, putting her flowers with the others. Stella thanks her for them, but says, what she really needs is the truth. What happened the last time they were together?
Curtis asks if Portia had any word from Trina, and she says, Trina is staying at Josslyn’s house. She’s still not ready to talk to Portia. Ever since she heard Stella confronting her about their affair, it’s like she’s suddenly become a stranger to Trina.
Ava says there’s something she’s been meaning to ask Trina. After she saw the two of them together, Spencer came to see her. Did Trina have anything to do with that? Trina says she doesn’t know. She told him how upset she was that Ava and his father were getting a divorce, and also made it clear that they’re friends, and how much she admires Ava. Why? What happened? Ava says, nothing. She and Spencer had a surprisingly civil conversation. Considering how Spencer feels about her, and the promise she broke, he didn’t have to reach out to her at all. Trina asks what they talked about, and Ava says, her marriage to his father. But this time it was less about Spencer’s dislike of her, and more about his concern for his father’s safety. Trina says, because of the stalker? and Ava says, exactly. She promised she wouldn’t speak to Nikolas directly, and they’d only communicate through their lawyers. Trina asks if Ava is okay with that, and Ava says, no, but she’s resigned herself to it. Her point is, she was impressed with Spencer’s devotion to his dad. Trina say she thinks in his own way, Spencer loves his father as much as she loves hers, and Ava says, it’s just so unfortunate that Spencer didn’t know his mother. Trina is so lucky; she and her mom are so close. Trina says, not anymore.
Nikolas says he doesn’t need to leave quite yet, and Spencer says his luggage is waiting when he is. Doc says Laura told him Spencer is upset about the mistakes he made with his brother, and Spencer says, mistake. The one that nearly took his Aunt Lulu’s life; the one that did take Kiki’s. Ava’s not his favorite person, but she certainly didn’t deserve what Ryan did to her. Doc says Spencer is right. He never should have tried to treat his brother on his own. But if Spencer chooses to remain angry with him, there’s very little he can do about it. Spencer tells him, he’d say there’s nothing Doc can do, and Doc says, except to tell him that his enmity weighs heavily on his grandmother. Spencer says, playing the grandmother card might not be beneath Doc, but it’s certainly beneath him. Laura says she’s not a card to be played, and it does hurt her deeply. Doc is her husband. She loves him, and expects Spencer to make some effort toward making peace. Spencer says, all she has to do is ask, and holds out his hand. He and Doc shake, and she says, thank you. So, about this trip… Nikolas says, it’s just a business trip. He’s going to Dubai. Laura says, in that case, she and Doc will stay with Spencer. Spencer says they don’t need to adjust their plans on his account, but Laura says, nonsense; it’s going to be fun. Besides, it will give Spencer the opportunity to reconnect with Doc. Spencer says he thinks they’ve made enough progress for today, and he has plans of his own; solitary plans. Doc says, doing what? and Spencer says, being solitary. He’s just spent the last few years at boarding school, constantly surrounded by people. He’s going to enjoy being alone, and he’s trying to learn to love his own company. Doc says he applauds the idea, and Spencer says, so they’re not staying, but Laura says, oh yes, they are. She and Doc sit down, and Doc tells Spencer not to worry. They’ll give him a wide berth so he can experience his solitude. Spencer says, but if they’re there, he’s not going to have a any solitude. It defeats the purpose. Laura says she’s sure it will ease Nikolas’s mind to know that they’re there in case Spencer needs them, but Nikolas says, actually, it won’t.
Portia tells Curtis that she wants to give Trina some time, but it’s been two whole days. She knows it doesn’t sound like a lot… He says he’s sure when it’s your child, two days seems like a lifetime, and she wonders how long she’s supposed to let this go on for. He wishes he had something useful to say, or that he could offer some advice, but he has zero experience at being a parent. What he can offer her is a shoulder to lean on.
Jordan says, the last time she and Stella met, water under the bridge. Stella says, if it’s water, she’s drowning in it. She can feel in her heart she did wrong, that she went on some sort of grand meddling mission. She knows she was in Jordan’s office, and Jordan was upset with her. Is that right? Jordan says, it is, and Stella asks if it’s because Jordan and Curtis were getting divorced. Jordan says she’s two for two. Stella was trying to convince her to give her marriage to Curtis another shot. To prove a point, she signed the divorce papers in front of Stella, put them in an envelope, and put them in her outbox. Stella flashes back to seeing Jordan do that, and Jordan asks if she’s remembering something. Stella says, there’s something about that. Like it’s right in front of her. If she could just grab it, she has the feeling it’s important.
Britt asks what Obrecht did to Jason, and Scotty says, he hopes it involved a mechanical tool, like a circular saw. Obrecht says, unfortunately, she’s left her violent ways behind, so she used the next best weapon in her arsenal; her words. She told Herr Morgan exactly what she thought of him. Scotty says, that’s like talking to a turnip, and Obrecht says, Anna Devane thought the same thing, but she saw his face when she hit him with her best shot. She reminded him that he was the first person Britt confided in about her illness. She opened her heart and shared her fears, only for the coward to leave her for his dead friend’s wife. He will never stop thinking of Britt. She’ll haunt him. Obrecht made sure of it.
Carly asks Jason, what’s going on? When she went to that meeting, the heads of the families stood with her against Cyrus, every last one of them, including the Novaks. So what’s changed? Jason says, that’s what they’re going to find out, and she says, Jax is livid about the Joey/Josslyn incident. He says, can she blame him? and she says she doesn’t blame him at all. She tried telling him it was a one-time thing, that Joey is just a punk, and it will never happen again, but she doesn’t know that’s true. Jason says, it is true. He’s going to back the families off. He’s not going to let anything happen to her or the kids. She smiles, and says, the way he said that, it’s like they were his kids. He says, they’re a family. It’s his responsibility to protect and love them, and that’s what he’s going to do.
Ava asks what’s going on between Trina and her mom, but Trina says she doesn’t want to tell Ava what happened with her and her mom. It makes her look like a bad person, which, maybe she is. Ava appreciates Trina wanting to protect her mom, but believe her, there’s nothing Portia could do that would surprise or shock her. She also knows how much Portia loves Trina, so she knows from experience that Portia is hurting too. Trina says, maybe she deserves to. Her mom cheated on her dad with Curtis. Ava says Trina’s parents have been divorced for a long time, haven’t they? and Trina says, it happened years ago. Not only did her mom betray her dad, she lied to Curtis, and never told him that she was married. Ava says, she sees, and Trina says her mom is always talking about the importance of truth and honesty. Now it turns out, she’s a total hypocrite.
Curtis tells Portia, his Aunt Stella is trying to figure out what happened before she had the stroke. Is there some way Portia can determine when she might get her memory back? Or if she can get it back? Portia says she’s afraid not. Some patients recover their memories; some never do. He says Cameron told them that Stella had an envelope she wanted to mail, but it was before she collapsed, and it was damaged, so it was thrown out. She says, and he doesn’t have any ideas what it might have been?
Stella says she remembers Jordan signing the papers, but beyond that, it’s a blur. Jordan wants her to know that after she signed the divorce papers, she went to find Curtis and fight for their marriage one more time. But she was too late. Stella thanks Jordan for telling her. She’s so, so sorry. Jordan says her too, and thanks Stella. Stella says, dear God, for what? and Jordan says, for her single-mindedness of purpose. Stella asks if Jordan means her stubbornness, and Jordan says she does. She thanks Stella for accepting her into the family – eventually – and fighting like hell to keep her in it. For inspiring her to make that last try to save it. It didn’t work out, but now she can let go, and know she gave it her all. Stella puts her hand on Jordan’s.
Laura asks if Nikolas really thinks it’s a good idea for Spencer to stay there alone. Nikolas says, Spencer is practically a grown man, and Spencer says, he is a grown man. Laura says, what if the stalker comes back? and Nikolas says, the stalker has never shown any interest in Nikolas. And there’s a security team, not to mention the staff. Doc says, so much for solitude, and Spencer says, they’re different; they stay out of the way. Nikolas says he agrees. Spencer has lived in dorms for years, and needs to learn how to be on his own with a full staff and security team, and to keep his own counsel. Spencer says he just wants to enjoy the family homestead with a full staff and security team, and get a little bit of quiet. Laura says, well, okay then. She and Doc get up, and she says she’s only a phone call away. Spencer thanks her, and says he’s looking forward to spending quality time with her, just not tonight. She says they’ll have to make plans, and he says, can’t wait. He tells Nikolas to have a good trip, and Nikolas says he plans to. He puts his hand on Spencer’s shoulder and says he wants to apologize again. He should never have been suspicious of him. Spencer says they’ve made such progress as a family, he thinks it’s best they forget about this, and not let it get in the way. Nikolas says, let’s not, and Spencer tells them, farewell, and leaves. Laura asks what Nikolas suspected him of, and Nikolas says that’s why he called them over. He found this letter to Spencer from Ryan Chamberlain.
Ava says she doesn’t understand why Portia told Trina this in the first place, but Trina says, she didn’t. She should have, but she didn’t. She has a right to know. Ava says, no, she doesn’t. First of all, no mother is obligated to discuss any extramarital affairs with her children. Secondly, by sparing Trina the details of the mistakes she made a long time ago, Ava thinks Portia was just trying to give herself a clean slate. Trina says Portia lied to her dad, and Ava says, that’s none of Trina’s business. Trina asks how she can say that; she’s their daughter. Ava says, but it’s their marriage they’re talking about. What goes on in their marriage is their business. Sometimes affairs are a symptom of a bigger problem. When someone is feeling unloved or lonely, sometimes they do things they wouldn’t normally do. The bottom line is, she needs to show her mother some compassion. Trina says, but… and Ava says, there is no but about it. This is Trina’s mother, and she disappointed her – Ava gets and understands that – but none of them , not even Trina, is perfect.
Curtis tells Portia, he has no idea what his aunt was about to put in the mailbox, and unfortunately, neither does she. Jordan joins them, and Curtis says she’s still standing. Jordan says she and Stella had a meeting of the minds about their divorce; she’s finally accepted it. Curtis thanks Jordan for talking to her, and says he should go get her ready. He leaves, and Jordan says, the last time Stella had a stroke, was when she found out she and Curtis were together, and now… Portia says, that woman is a force of nature. First, she refuses to let Jordan in the family; now she’s going to do everything possible to prevent her from leaving. Jordan asks what else Stella did, other than trying to manipulate Portia into staying away from Curtis, and Portia says, it went way beyond that.
Stella tells Curtis, she vaguely remembers being at Kelly’s with him, and he was angry with her, but why? What had she done? He asks if she really wants to know, and she says, it’s not a question of what she wants; she needs to know. He says she confronted Portia about the affair they had all those years ago, and she says, dear Lord. She wishes not being able to remember would absolve her from all that, and he says he thinks they’d all rather put it behind them. She says, wait a minute. Something else happened when she confronted Portia. Something that made it worse. What was it? He says, Portia’s daughter Trina overheard her. Stella says, oh God.
Laura asks where Nikolas got the letter, and he says, in Spring Ridge, among Ryan’s belongings. Spencer returned it unopened, but just seeing it unsettled him. He wasn’t thinking clearly, and accused Spencer of conspiring with Ryan against Ava. She says, Spencer would never do that, and he says she’s right. The dates don’t match up, hence the apology. Laura asks Doc if he thinks Ryan was trying to use Spencer to get to Ava, and Doc says Nikolas was right to bring this to them. He thinks he needs to find out what the hell is going on at Spring Ridge. Nikolas thanks him, and says anything he could do would be appreciated. Unfortunately, he needs to get to the airport. Laura asks if he’s sure Spencer will be okay there by himself, and Nikolas says he’s sure Spencer will be fine. She says, he does seem to be growing up, and he did mention he talked with Ava, and they agreed to a truce. Nikolas asks what else he said, and she tells him, Spencer said Ava agreed to limit contact with him. Nikolas says, that explains the email he got telling him to only communicate with Ava through her attorney.
Spencer goes to the pool (🍷), and says hello to Obrecht, adding it’s a pleasure to see her again. Cassadine family lore hints at a romance between her and his Great Uncle Victor. Obrecht says, like much Greek lore, it’s ancient and filled with horrors. Spencer says, nevertheless, he’s quite fond of her magnificent daughter, and wishes things could have worked out between her and his father, but alas, his father is a very stubborn and unforgiving man. (Kettle, meet pot.) Britt says, trust her; things worked out for the best. He disagrees, and says, Mr. Baldwin. If memory serves, he’s quite an impressive attorney. Scotty thanks him, and says if he ever gets into trouble, come see him. Spencer says he’ll keep that in mind, and Britt suggests they go somewhere and catch up. She steers him toward the bar, and Scotty says, Victor Cassadine? Obrecht says she spent decades in a romantic stupor over Cesar Faison. All things considered, Victor was a step up. He says, even so, and she says she’ll put it this way. Cesar was, as Britta would say, rock bottom. Victor was top soil. And Scotty is the stars. Aww! I love them so much.
Britt tells Spencer, he has to stop trying to put her and his father together. He says, can he help it if he thinks they belong together? and she says, yes, he can. Because he did it to weaponize her against Ava, and friends don’t treat each other like that. He says she’s right; he’s sorry. She says, that’s mature of him. Forgive her if it takes her a moment to buy it. He says take all the time she needs. By the way, she should know, he’s decided to spend less time worrying about his father’s life, and focus on his own. In fact, he was just over at the restaurant, taking advantage of their excellent catering service. She says, special occasion? and he says he’s having the party to end all parties, and he wants her to come. Feel free to bring a plus one.
Obrecht says, she’s been meaning to ask Scotty this… Even now, she hesitates. He says she can ask him anything, and she says, very well. She’s attending a medical conference on new research and advancements in treatment of hereditary diseases, including Huntington’s. He asks, where? and she says, St. Lucia. He asks, how long? and she says, a week. He says he’s going to lose her for a whole week? and she says, not if he comes with her.
Britt says she assumes Spencer’s stubborn and unforgiving father is unaware of his par-tay plans, and he says Nikolas is going to be in Dubai. Please come. She says, to chaperone a bevy of Gen Z’ers? No thanks. He says she’d hardly be a chaperone. Maybe she’ll meet someone. She says she thinks she’ll steer clear of romance with eighteen year olds, and he says, so she’s not seeing anyone. She says she’s serious about that party. He knows how his father can be.
Portia tells Jordan, Trina overheard the whole exchange, and Jordan says, oh no. Portia says, yeah, and now Trina sees her as someone who stepped out on her father with Curtis. She spent the last two nights at Josslyn’s house. Jordan’s probably thinking this is what she gets, right? Jordan says she’s in no position to judge Portia or anyone. She kept from TJ that Cyrus was behind his abduction, and he was furious. Rightfully so. But look at her and TJ now; they’re close again. She promises Portia, if she and TJ can find a way past her mistakes, Trina can find a way past Portia’s. Portia says, any idea how? and Jordan says, whatever she does, don’t push. It never works. Let Trina come to her.
Stella asks what she’s done to that poor child, and Curtis tells her, take it easy. The last thing she needs after a stroke is to elevate her blood pressure. Trina will come around. If there’s one thing Stella always taught him, it’s that they all have the capacity to forgive. She says she’s going to need all the forgiveness she can get.
Ava says, Trina told her that her mother didn’t tell her about the affair. How’d she find out about it? Trina says she overheard Miss Henry unloading on her mom about it. Then not too long after, Miss Henry had a stroke. She’s going to be okay, but the whole thing is just a mess. Ava can see how it seems that way, especially since Trina is at the heart of it. Which means, if she wants things to get better – Trina says, which she does – then Trina has to be the one to start making them better. Go talk to her mom. Trina doesn’t know if she’s ready to do that, and Ava says she doesn’t have to be ready. At least not right this minute, but soon. She’s learned the hard way that they can’t let things like this fester, and to set things right as soon as they can.
Moss bowl! Carly tells Jason, Donna is down for her nap. She heard Donna earlier, when she called Jason daddy. He doesn’t think she knows what she’s saying, but Carly says she does. She doesn’t remember Sonny, but she knows what daddy means, and to her, Jason is daddy. Is he okay with that? He sighs.
Stella asks, why? and Curtis says because he loves her. He was always going to forgive her. And because she was fighting for something she believed in, something he’d asked her to believe in. But his marriage to Jordan is over, and he needs her to accept that. She says it took a stroke to get her there, but she finally accepts it. He says, let’s get you out of here, and she asks how Portia and Trina will ever get over what she did to them? He says, they’re resilient, strong women, just like her. He’s sure things will work themselves out over time.
Jordan says Portia is a good mother. Just give Trina a little time to remember that. Because she will. Portia thanks her, and says, maybe there’s hope for their friendship yet. I guess she didn’t hear that part about not pushing. Jordan smiles, and gets in the elevator, giving a little wave as the doors close. Curtis comes out of Stella’s room, and says he just wanted Portia to know he had to tell Stella what happened with Trina. Portia says, oh no. She was hoping they could protect her from that. He says, him too, but she insisted, and she knows when his Aunt Stella insists. She says she gets it, and asks how Stella is taking it. He says, she’s embarrassed, but most of all, she’s worried about how this affected Trina. Portia says, her too.
Scotty says, a week in St. Lucia… Does he have to go to the lectures? Obrecht says, of course (🍷) not. She has to pay close attention, and he’s far too distracting. But there will be plenty of extra time – she dances her fingers up his arms – to socialize. He says, count me in, mein schnitzel, and she laughs.
Spencer asks Britt to tell him all about her broken heart. Sharing is healing. He takes off his shirt, and she sees the KICK ME on his back, and says she’ll share this with him. His back says kick me. He says, huh? and tries unsuccessfully to look. She asks who was the last person who put sunscreen on his back? and he flashes back to waking up and seeing Trina in the chair next to him, laughing. He says, from this angle, it almost looks like it says, kiss me.
Curtis asks if Portia is sure there isn’t something he could do to help her with Trina, and she says she’ll let him know if she thinks of anything. She’d probably storm over to Josslyn’s house and bring her home if Jordan hadn’t convinced her not to. Curtis takes her hands, and in a stroke of bad timing, Trina shows up. They look at her.
Doc tells Laura, the truth is, Spencer has every right to be upset with him. He never should have tried to handle Ryan on his own. She says he paid dearly for that, and she shouldn’t have to remind Spencer of that. He thanks her, and says, this whole business about Harmony writing letters for Ryan has him worried. He thinks he should go to Spring Ridge, and find out what he can. They can’t afford any mistakes with Ryan. She says, he won’t make any more. She has total confidence in him. He says, that’s nice to hear, and she tells him that she loves him. He says, and he loves her too.
Ava is working at the gallery, and flashes back to getting busy in the cabin with Nikolas. Nikolas walks in, and she says he can’t be there. He says, actually, he can, but she says he can’t. If the stalker finds out, it can get a lot worse for them. He says, it won’t. Because he knows who the stalker is.
Spencer tells Britt, now that his father is on his way to the Emirates, he needs to finish with the party plans. She says, you kids have fun, and he says he means it; please come. It’ll heal what ails her. She says she’s always been a physician heal thyself kind of gal, and he asks how that’s working out for her.
Jason tells Carly, they should probably teach Donna to call him Jason – moss bowl! – and she says, okay. He says, Sonny is her father. She probably won’t remember him, but it just feels wrong to take his place. Carly says, yeah, and Jason says, whatever Donna wants to call him, as long as she knows he loves her and he’s going to protect her. Carly says, she senses that already, and he asks if she’s sure she’s not imagining things. She says, no. Because he’s one of Donna’s favorite people. Like mother, like daughter. They stare at the moss bowl, as we all would.
Tomorrow, Nikolas tells Ava that the stalker is his son, Stella asks if there’s been some complications, Trina says Stella did her a favor, and Josslyn wonders when this wedding is going to happen.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
The Wives I don’t love to hate, but just hate.
After Garcelle made a faux pas by telling the others that Tom had been calling Erika, Erika cried in the bathroom like Garcelle had just done the worst thing in the world. Even Kyle didn’t know why it was that big of a deal. Erika came back out, and wept about how hard it was, and got everyone all weepy. LisaR hugged Erika, and said she was sorry it happened, and that it was effed up. In Garcelle’s interview, she said she was pissed off that LisaR wasn’t giving her the benefit of the doubt. It hadn’t been her intention to hurt Erika. Garcelle was ready to jet, but Kathy asked her to come back, and bugged her until she did. Erika told Garcelle it was okay, and Garcelle said it wasn’t intentional. In Kyle’s interview, she said, whatever was going on looked broken. There had to be something else going on. Garcelle wanted Erika to know that she wouldn’t intentionally hurt her, and Erika told her, don’t worry and hugged her, promising it was okay. In Sutton’s interview, she thought the reaction a little much, and it wasn’t about Garcelle, but Erica. It made her think Erika wasn’t being honest. Erika thought she should go home, since she had to hideassets take care of some things anyway. Kyle said she wanted Erika there, but respected what Erika needed to do. Dorit, Kyle, and LisaR walked Erika out, and inside, Sutton told Garcelle that she’d done nothing wrong and not to blame herself. Outside, Erika wailed some more, and her car seemed to come awfully fast, but no one thought that was odd.
Sutton said it was hard, but they had to pray for Erika, and help where they could. LisaR asked why Garcelle felt the need to bring it up in that moment, and Garcelle said she’d thought Erika was sharing. Dorit – who apparently hadn’t been listening to half the conversation – said Erika hadn’t want to talk about that. Crystal had to explain again that Garcelle hadn’t been there when Erika said that. Garcelle felt like there weren’t a lot of women on her side, and in her interview, she said, ever since she’d been hanging out with them, she felt they had an inner circle she was not inside. LisaR said it wasn’t their job to ask questions unless Erika wanted to share, and we flashed back to the million times LisaR grilled people who didn’t want to share. Sutton said they’d been talking about it in the kitchen before they all sat down. LisaR said there had been an article on an involuntary bankruptcy, and Dorit explained that if they got divorced, Erika wouldn’t get a dime. In Kyle’s interview, she said, Tom had been the wealthiest lawyer she’d ever met, and now it was all gone. They made plans to meet for dinner at 7.
The women regrouped for dinner, and Kyle said she’d texted with Erika. In Garcelle’s interview, she said it bothered her that Erika got upset, but her conscience was clear. Kyle said Erika wouldn’t scream at Garcelle the next time they met, but she wouldn’t trust Garcelle either. Garcelle wondered if LisaR had anything she could own in the situation, and in LisaR’s interview, she said Garcelle needed to check herself, and why she threw darts. Because LisaR can’t stand having to check herself. She claimed Garcelle wasn’t somebody who had your back. In Garcelle’s interview, she thought maybe LisaR felt she asked too many questions, and should take a look at the way she’d treated Denise. It was hypocritical and she could take her ownness and shove it. YES! Garcelle said she wasn’t sh*tting on Erika when she was at the bottom. She wasn’t that person. She wished she’d been told Erika hadn’t wanted to discuss it. It wasn’t deliberate, and she had nothing to own. LisaR was just trying to shut her up.
Food was delivered, and LisaR wanted to play a game. Kyle said games led to drama, and they hadn’t learned their lesson. We flashed back to the many games that ended up a disaster, including the poker game where Kim was way too high, and Brandi pushed Kyle down some stairs. They went through the I-don’t-see-color conversation again, and how it wasn’t cool to say. A couple of the women, mostly Dorit, were still clueless, and Garcelle asked if they’d ever been concerned about cops pulling their kids over. In her interview, Garcelle says, this world didn’t see the value of Black men. Kyle said she could claim everyone was equal, but had never walked in Garcelle’s shoes. Garcelle told Dorit just because she hadn’t grown up with it, didn’t mean it wasn’t experienced by others. In Crystal’s interview, she talks about hearing comments about her slanted eyes in elementary school, and how her parents had told them not to engage.
When Kyle asked for help with the dishes, you’d have thought she’d asked for the moon. In her interview, she said, take one dish, and just rinse it. They were acting like she wanted them to wash her car. Garcelle and Crystal cut out, and we found out that Harry had acrylic nails on one hand to play the guitar. That was his excuse anyway. In Kyle’s interview, she said, forget sexiest man alive. Harry was going for sexiest hand alive. In the morning Crystal brought Garcelle coffee, and asked if Erika had texted her back. Garcelle said she didn’t think so, but as long as Erika knew how she felt, it didn’t matter. The article about the so-called in-depth exposé on Tom and Erika came out, but everyone thought it was too long to actually read. In Kyle’s interview, she said they thought it couldn’t get worse, but both Tom and Erika had been accused of stealing millions from vulnerable clients. Tom’s lawyers admitted he’d been unable to tell them what happened to the money. In Garcelle’s interview, she said it was hard to imagine taking advantage of people like that. Sutton joined them, and said she’d actually read the whole thing, since she was used to reading things other than US magazine. She said the words Ponzi scheme had been used, and Erika could possibly go to jail. LisaR said it screamed Madoff, and asked if his wife had been implicated. Sutton said that was the tricky part. If Erika had accepted funds from Tom’s firm, she’d have to go to court.
Garcelle said she couldn’t imagine it. Every day there was something new. Her divorce had been public, and it was hard when people knew stuff about you, but didn’t know you. It had been in the LA Times, and she couldn’t imagine Erika had no heads up. That would explain why she flipped out. Garcelle thought it wasn’t personal, and could have been anyone. Kyle said it was being implied that Erika had been implicit, and Sutton wondered how Erika could know nothing. LisaR doubted Tom had talked about his day with her, and in her interview, said she didn’t think Erika knew what was going on. Tom was in charge, and when Harry asked her to sign something, she signed it. Sutton explained that if Erika’s name was on an LLC, she was responsible, and in her interview, said, if the devil himself put money in your LLC, you were responsible. Dorit said the picture being painted was that they’d used the money to keep up their lifestyle. We flashed back to their two airplanes, and Erika’s high-end fashion and jewelry. In her interview, Sutton says she wasn’t sure where Erika was in this, but she was questioning it. Dorit said it was a hard pill to swallow. It seemed like they hadn’t known Erika. In her interview, she said, of course they wanted to support Erika, but had been blindsided. They didn’t know how to feel or what questions to ask. LisaR wondered how Erika was keeping her sanity, and Kyle wondered what else Erika was keeping from them. Dorit said it was going to be a long, very expensive road.
When Dorit got back home, she FaceTimed with PK and Boy George. PK said he’d been reading about Erika; what a sandstorm. Dorit told him she thought something didn’t add up, and Boy George said thank God it wasn’t Dorit’s drama. In Sutton’s interview, she said Erika probably knew more than she was letting on, and was wondering what the consequences would be for her.
Sutton wanted to get together with the women, sans Erika, which Kyle and Dorit thought was weird, but also agreed they should do. They met at Dorit’s house, and Dorit said she’d just put out an impromptu whatever was in her fridge spread. In LisaR’s interview, she said it was the hosting version of, this old thing? Kyle said Erika had been posting pictures of Tom’s alleged mistress, and screen shots of her sexts to Tom. She wondered why Erika hadn’t been more open with them, and didn’t know why Erika would be posting this stuff on Instagram. She thought maybe it was Erika’s way of letting everyone know the divorce wasn’t a hoax, but wondered how long Erika knew. Garcelle again brought up Erika having said there was no third party involved. In Garcelle’s interview, she said if Erika wasn’t honest about the affair, maybe she still wasn’t telling them everything. LisaR said when she did the same thing during a divorce, her lawyer said, take it down immediately.
Sutton had reservations about what happened in La Quinta, and what had been said. She’d left thinking something was amiss, and thought they’d been placed in a bad position. The stories weren’t adding up, and when she left, she’d wondered what they’d gotten themselves into. She had questions, and wasn’t sure how much she wanted to be around Erika during this time.
To be continued…
Next time, Sutton doesn’t think ignorance is an excuse and wonders about the $20 million, and Kyle asks if Erika knew.
🥁 Marching On…
Already a long week, but at least we’re over the hump. Right, Mike? Until we meet again, stay safe, stay being an asset to others, and stay allowing your words to be the best weapon in your arsenal.

Kim asks if she’s getting enough rest. Nina says she’s just going through the motions, and doesn’t know what’s real. She’s trying to keep it together for her family.
Maxie asks Jason what he’s going to do to Henrik, and Jason says first he has to find him. She says he has Spinelli, and they’ll track him down, but then what? Jason says he’s going to ask why Henrik kept him live, and why he was kept prisoner at the clinic for five years. Maxie wonders if he’s going to ask if Henrik was in on Faison’s kidnapping plan. Jason says he talked to Faison, and he seemed angry that Henrik didn’t kill him. She says he may have been lying, and Jason says, anything is possible. Maxie says if Henrik wasn’t in on the plan, he didn’t do anything to hurt her, and it wouldn’t be fair to hurt him. But if he was helping Faison, she wants to make him pay.
Mike says Sonny thinks he’ll make a mess of things if he’s on his own. He gets respect in his neighborhood, and he has responsibilities. Sonny says he talked to Caruso, and all that ended after the last mix-up. Carly says she’d welcome a chance to spend more time with him. He says she’s the one who told his girlfriend to ditch him. Carly says she’s sorry if she spoke out of turn, but don’t let her mistake ruin anything; his family is here. He says he’ll visit more often. Sonny tells Mike that he’s not himself. He doesn’t want him cooking dinner, and burning down the apartment. Mike says, why? It will get his deadbeat dad out of his life for good.

Franco says at some point, his past will be too much, but she says that hasn’t happened yet. He doesn’t know how she does that; it turns his stomach. She says whatever he tells her, she can roll with it. She knows his struggles. She doesn’t always agree with his methods of dealing with things, but she’s seen him confront his demons and put them behind him. She loves him, and continues to believe in their love. Franco flashes back to Jim saying that one day Elizabeth will lose faith. Franco says he does believe. That’s why he came to the church where she was waiting. She says, where she knew he’d show. They agree not to let the past get in the way, and embrace.
Jim tells Sam he must have just missed them. Sam says, he was there? Jim says he and Franco were both thrown, and when his head cleared, he ran to call for help. Jim says there’s something they need to know about Franco.
Sonny asks, if he wants to get rid of Mike, why is he trying so hard to get him to stay? Mike says they’ll be telling him what to do, and track his every move. Does Mike think he wants to see his dad deteriorate little by little? Mike says nobody is asking him to be a hero. Just let him go.

Drew says, so Franco tried to kill him when they were kids, around two or three years old, and Jim says he saw it. He happened to be watching them. Betsy went to the market, and he turned his back for half a second. When Betsy came home, she was horrified, and made up a cover story. The incident made her realize that she couldn’t keep both of them. What if Franco hurt him again? So, she decided to give him away. She knew he’d be okay on his own, but Franco was a detriment to himself and others, and she’d keep trying to fix him. Sam asks why he didn’t say anything before, and he says he felt guilty. If he’d kept a better eye on them, it wouldn’t have happened. He’d thought Franco had forgotten, but when he remembered, Jim knew he hadn’t changed a bit.

She tells him it must have slipped her mind. Rita cares about him, but wants to be by herself. Mike says, who could blame her? She’s a nice lady, and they had a good run. She didn’t sign up for what’s happening to him. Sonny says he’s sorry, and Carly has an idea. Since things aren’t working out with Rita, why doesn’t he stay longer with them? He’s already a big help around the house. He says it’s not his place; it’s his son’s and Sonny might not like it. Carly tells him not to be silly. The thing about families is that stuff comes up, then it gets better.
Scotty says, Jim was there when Drew took a header? Franco says when he confronted Jim, he said he was supposed to be watching things. It got quiet, and he checked on them. That’s why he left him in the trailer. Scotty says Jim didn’t want him to make it. He would have been a goner if Sam and Jason hadn’t shown up.

Jim says he told Franco that he remembered change came over him, and Franco threatened him. He told him not to breathe word about it, especially to Drew. Drew says, or what? Jim says he didn’t ask; Franco’s eyes said it all. He remembered that look from when Franco was a kid. At that moment, he realized Franco hadn’t changed. Now he’s marrying that nice woman with the beautiful kids. He tracked Drew down, since he’ll know what to do. Jim leaves, and I get the feeling Drew isn’t completely buying this. I hope not. Scotty thinks they should do everyone a favor and elope. Franco says first, he has to figure out this things with Jim. Scotty says don’t tell Elizabeth, but are the rings insured?
Mike supposes he can try living there for a bit, and see how works out. Carly says, great. Michael and Dante will be happy. Mike says he’s tired, and asks Sonny to tell Caruso he’s been delayed, and might not make the drop-off on the dot. Sonny says he’ll tell him, and Mike says, but he’ll be there. He goes upstairs. Sonny looks even more tired than Mike.
Drew finds Franco. He wonders if Franco is the man who saved his life, or the guy who tried to kill him.
Elizabeth tells Jason that Franco wasn’t in control, but he’s still sorry. Every day he tries to be better and make amends. Jason says he found Michael in his prison cell, raped by a man that Franco sent. He watched as Franco carried out a naked Sam, and made them think he had raped her. He can’t consider the possibility. He let him live, and hopes he gets what he deserves. Elizabeth leaves, and Sam asks if everything is okay. Jason says everything is the same. Elizabeth sees Franco one way, and he sees Franco another. Sam asks if it wasn’t enough that they saved his life. Jason says he told her the truth; he was going to leave him there, and she wouldn’t let him. Sam says don’t make her sound so noble. She didn’t want to keep the secret. In the end, it’s not worth it. Sam says she still hasn’t told Drew that she loves him. Elizabeth hears.
On Monday, Mike has to make decisions, Ava hopes to get a more permanent arrangement with Avery, and Drew tells Franco that he’s going to stop hiding things.
🙆 Tabatha & My Digression of the Week
I’m loving Relative Success with Tabatha. She’s one of those people like Gordon Ramsay, with a hard exterior, but extremely caring on the inside, who can wear as many hats as you can stack on their heads. I love a business improvement show, and so far, Tabatha has perfected a jewelry business, a gym, a deli, a pizzeria, a design team, and a restaurant. The twist here being that every business is family owned and run, I’m amazed at how diplomatic Tabatha is, although at least once she’s had to remove herself from the room before saying something she’d regret.
While I’ve never had first-hand experience being part of a family business, I can tell you this much – you do not want to work for one. My post high school job before moving to NYC, was working for an Army/Navy store that was family run, and they all worked there in some capacity. The main owner, and patriarch, was a great guy, but he was hardly ever around, mostly working in another branch of the store. His oldest son and daughter-in-law, however, were always around, and always fighting. Showdown in aisle 13! They weren’t shy about sharing every detail, and you didn’t even have to ask. It did have its perks though. We got massive discounts, and they had very cool stuff. I still have some of the clothes I bought there. I also went out with the owner’s younger son once. Only once not because we didn’t click, but we both moved. Although the date did have a couple of awkward moments. We went to see The Man Who Fell to Earth at the arthouse cinema, and he forgot his wallet. We went back to his house to get it, and of course I had to go to the bathroom. And of course his father came home in the meantime. After I was living in the city, and my absent-minded date was in pilot school in Florida we wrote back and forth a bit. In one of the letters he sent, he told me about a subway token he’d found on the beach there. He was including it, since I could use it more than he could, but there was no token in the envelope. A day later, I got a note from him, along with the token, saying, does this remind you of another time?
Next time on Tabatha, a real estate office. She also gives me my first favorite quote of the week.
This family is f**king crazy. – Tabatha Coffey
