Monday:

Nothing to see here. Memorial Day rerun.

Tuesday:

Brook asked Lois if Gio was really her son and Lois said, yes.

Emma followed Gio to the Quartermaines and he told her that his entire life was a lie. He couldn’t stay there. She said she wasn’t going to stop him. She was coming with him.

Michael said he’d missed Wiley, and they were having a sleepover at Grandma Carly’s. He left with Wiley, and Jason told Willow and Drew if they followed Michael, they’d never see Wiley again.

Lulu and Cody had a beer on her porch. She asked how Dante was, and he said Dante was mad, confused, and in shock. He told Dante what he’d known. Lulu said she was sorry the way it came out, but at least now Dante knew the truth. Cody wasn’t sure they made the right call.

Lois told Brook that she and Gloria were trying to do the right thing. They decided to keep Gio close, and they were only trying to look out for Brook’s child. No child was ever more loved. Brook said she couldn’t breathe, and Lois held her.

Emma asked where Gio wanted to go, and he said, anywhere but here. On the way out, they ran into Tracy coming in. She said Drew framed her and had her arrested. Then Jason left her stranded at the police station. She asked what they were doing there instead of the Nurses Ball. What was wrong? Gio flashed back to overhearing he was Brook and Dante’s son and smashing his violin. He said Tracy kept reminding him that he wasn’t a Quartermaine, but the joke was on him. It turned out he was family.

Willow asked Jason where Michael was taking Wiley, when her phone rang. She asked the nanny where Amelia was now and told Jason that he had no right to take her baby. Jason left and Carly said she would see Nina in court. Sonny said he had something to take care of and Nina asked him to hear her out.

Trina brought Kai back to the apartment and he said he couldn’t get over how beautiful her voice was. Every single thing about her was beautiful.

Cody asked if Lulu was the one who told Gio, and she said she was pretty sure he’d overheard her and Lois talking. Cody said it was on him too, but maybe confronting Lois at the Nurses Ball wasn’t the best idea. He hadn’t given enough thought to how it would affect Gio and equated Gio’s experience to his, but their situations weren’t the same. He’d never felt like he fit in, but Gio grew up with a family who adored him, and they blew it all to hell. Lulu flashed back to Carly saying she’d put this train in motion and needed to get off the track before she got leveled.

Lois brought Brook some water and Brook wanted to hear everything. Lois said Gloria knew Camilla desperately wanted a baby and Camilla was thrilled with the opportunity to be a mother. It was a relief that they could watch over Gio, and she could tell Brook with absolute certainty that her baby went to a loving home. It seemed like the perfect solution, but then Camilla got sick and passed. Gio’s world had fallen apart, and they thought it was wrong to tell him at that point. She was trying to do the right thing. Dante came in and asked, the right thing for who?

Sonny said Jason was acting on Michael’s wishes and Michael had a right to see the kids. Nina said she thought Michael’s return would calm things down and they could make him see compromise was what was best. Sonny said, unless or when Willow got away from Drew, this was how it was going to be. He wondered if Nina could get Willow to see who Drew really was. Drew had runed Willow’s life, tanked her marriage, and she was about to lose her kids. He hoped Drew was worth it.

Michael came back to the house and Sasha was there with the kids. He said he’d missed them so much.

There was champagne waiting at the apartment, and Trina said it was Stella’s way of celebrating her performance, since she couldn’t be there. Kai made a toast to Trina’s undeniable shooting star and to Aunt Stella for being Aunt Stella. Trina felt bad that she was having an amazing night while Gio was having a night from hell. At least Emma was with him and would make sure he was okay. Kai said he had experience in thinking everything was fine and having it suddenly come crashing down. Trina had it too when she’d lost Spencer. Trina said she’d been thinking about it lately, and her mom helped her realize that she didn’t want to lose someone else she cared about.

Tracy told Gio that she’d spent the better part the evening being detained by the man. What was she supposed to know? He said he’d assumed she was in on it. Brook and Dante were his parents, which made her his great-grandmother. Congratulations! It’s a boy! She told him to start at the beginning, but he told her to ask Lois. She said, it was him all this time. He was her great-grandson. He started to leave, but she told him, don’t take another step.

Brook told Dante that she was sorry. She got pregnant that summer – their summer – in camp. She couldn’t tell him because she didn’t know how. She was young and scared out of her mind. She felt so lost and didn’t know what to do. She only knew she couldn’t terminate the pregnancy, so she had the baby and gave it up for adoption. She’d sworn she’d never tell anybody, and swore she didn’t know their child was Gio until tonight.

Emma told Tracy that they were heading out, but Tracy said that wasn’t okay. She wanted Gio to tell her what happened and why he believed that Brook and Dante were his parents. Gio told her that Lois had said they were. He’d overheard her, but it was the truth. Tracy said she understood wanting to run, but he didn’t get to say he was family and just waltz out the door. He was her family. She had two sons, a granddaughter and a grandson. Now she had a great-grandson. She showed him a photo of Edward and Lila, and said they were his great-great-grandparents. Everything in this house was his and everybody who lived there was related to him. Don’t push them away.

Cody said he’d never forget the look Gio’s face, and Lulu said, he looked so lost and betrayed. It made her heart hurt. Cody said, for Gio, Brook, and Dante. He knew she hadn’t wanted it to go down like this, but he couldn’t help feeling guilty. They’d been blinded by the lie and couldn’t see the reason the lie was there in the first place. So many people’s lives had been ripped apart. (Like someone didn’t tell Lulu that was going to happen every five minutes.) Lulu said, things had changed, but it was for the better. It was good that Dante knew. Cody said now Gio knew Camilla hadn’t been his mom, but Lulu said, no one could take away the love they’d shared. Cody doubted Gio appreciated that right now, and Lulu said, maybe someday. Cody said he hoped Gio wasn’t out there alone.

Dante wondered why Brook never told him later, and she said, once she decided to give the baby up, she felt it would be cruel. She didn’t want to burden him with something that couldn’t be changed and make him suffer like she was. He said they had to put all that aside. They had a son who was in trouble. She said she had to find Gio, when Tracy texted that Gio was at the house and to come quickly. Lois wanted to come with them, but Brook said, like hell.

Michael tucked Wiley in and said they would talk in the morning. He told Wiley about flying over the ocean and said his love for Wiley and his sister was bigger than the ocean. Bigger than anything. He was back and now everything would be different.

Trina said she never thought she’d feel so strongly about someone again, then Kai came along. At first, she thought he was a bit of an arrogant jerk and was embarrassed she’d judged a book by its cover. He was neither of those things. She didn’t know how to handle the attraction and felt guilty because of Spencer. Kai said he was a goner from the night Trina dumped her drink on him, and she said she got there at the end. He told her, it was just the beginning, and they kissed.

Trina said Josslyn had texted and was spending the night at her mom’s, so she and Kai had the place to themselves. Kai asked if she was sure she wanted to do this, and she said she definitely wanted to. They got busy and there was a song part.

Continuing to justify her thoughtlessness, Lulu said, even when change was good, it was hard, and Cody said, Gio’s entire reality had been turned on its head. She said it was worth it if it meant the truth came out. Dante was an amazing father, and despite her many faults, Brook was a loving person and had Chase to rein her in when she went off the rails. She thought Brook would be a good mom. Gio believed he was an orphan and now had a whole other family who would accept him the way the Scorpios had accepted Cody. (It’s mindboggling how clueless she is.)

Brook said it had been her baby and Lois had pretended like she was calling the shots. Meanwhile, she had nothing to do with it. She’d agreed to a closed adoption with the understanding that neither of them knew where the baby went. If Lois changed the plan, she should have told her. They could have figured it out together. Lois reached for Brook’s arm, but Brook shook her off and said what she’d done was unforgiveable. She had zero excuse. She’d lied to everybody, including her own daughter, for 22 years, and lied to Gio his entire life. The list went on. Lois said she wished she could go back, but Brook said that meant nothing to her. Stay away from her and her son. She left, Dante following after giving Lois a look, and alone, Lois sobbed.

Trina and Kai basked in the afterglow. Trina said she hadn’t wanted Kai as a partner, but was glad. He was one of the best things to happen to her. Kai said he felt the same way.

Michael flashed back to Sasha telling him that she didn’t think it was healthy to raise her child as a Quartermaine. He told her that he’d missed the kids so much, and she said he looked great. She asked if he was in any pain, but he said nothing he couldn’t manage. He asked about her, and she said she was great. He thanked her for helping with Amelia, and she said, Amelia knew her from the Quartermaines’. She and Jason thought it would be less scary if she went with him to pick Amelia up. He thanked her for sending the sonograms and said he didn’t want her to start worrying he’d go back on his word and try to be part of the baby’s life. He wouldn’t do that unless she changed her mind.

Drew and Willow ran into the station, and Drew told Mac that they wanted to report a kidnapping. Willow said it was her daughter, and they knew where she was. Drew said, Jason is the one who kidnapped her.

Cody told Lulu that family did Gio no good if he couldn’t trust them. He didn’t know how you came back from a lie this big. Lulu suggested it would happen with love, patience, and time. It wouldn’t be bleak forever. Everyone would help. He said he’d do what he could, and she said she would too, but he said she might want to lay low for a while. He said, goodnight, picked up the rest of his six-pack, and left.

Ned found Lois in the MetroCourt garden and looked at her grimly.

Tracy told Gio that the Quartermaines weren’t perfect, but they were his family, and he said he got that it wasn’t her fault, but he had a family. He loved his mother more than anything and lost her. Now he found out none of it was real. It was a complete lie. The family had now were a bunch of liars, so excuse him if he didn’t jump on the Quartermaine bandwagon. Brook and Dante walked in.

Wednesday:

Maxie met Nina at the Brown Dog Bar and Maxie said she watched the whole thing on TV. Nina said, it got worse when Willow found out Jason took Amelia. This would change everything for the custody hearing. The only way Willow would keep her children was if she ended things with Drew and there was one thing that could happen to push Willow to the edge. Maxie asked if Nina was going to tell Willow that she’d slept with Drew.

Drew said Mac had to arrest Jason, and Willow said Jason took Amelia. Mac asked, where? and Drew said, to Carly’s, but they might not stay, so Mac had to move quickly. Mac asked why Jason took Amelia, and Willow said, Michael told him to. Michael showed up at the Nurses Ball and left with Wiley. She assumed they were headed to Carly’s. Mac said what he was hearing was that the children were with their father. That wasn’t kidnapping. Drew said Jason wasn’t welcome in their house and had terrorized the babysitter. They police had to do something.

Carly came back to the house with Josslyn and Jason, and Josslyn hugged Michael. Carly hugged him and said nothing had been the same without him. He thanked Jason for getting Amelia and told him that it was smart to bring Sasha. He asked Carly if it was okay for them to spend the night, and she said it was more than okay. Donna would be thrilled to see him at the breakfast table, and she would too. Josslyn said his timing was impeccable, and Carly asked how he knew to come home.

Ned asked, why? and Lois said she was really sorry. He said, Brook had a baby when she was practically a baby herself and kept it from him? It was the biggest crisis of their daughter’s life and when she needed support, where was her father? Nowhere because Lois cut him out.

Gio said he was just leaving, but Brook said, don’t go. Please. Dante said they had to talk, and reached for Gio’s arm, but Gio said, don’t touch me. He had nothing to say to them. Brook said Dante didn’t know she’d been pregnant and didn’t know about him, and Gio asked, what was her excuse?

Ned wondered if Brook thought he’d be angry or ashamed. Did she think he’d disown her or think he didn’t care? Lois said, it wasn’t like that. What teenage daughter wanted to tell her father that she was pregnant? Brook was ashamed and needed her help, so she did what she thought was best for their daughter. Brook didn’t want to terminate the pregnancy, so Lois had to figure out how to get Brook out of town before she started showing. She didn’t want Brook’s whole life derailed because of one careless moment. Ned said he would have supported Brook and helped, and she said, maybe. Or maybe the Quartermaines would have swooped in and taken the baby as if it was another asset.

Brook told Gio that she had a baby and gave them up for adoption. She didn’t know if she had a boy or a girl or where they ended up, except it was a loving home. She didn’t know it was him. Gio said she didn’t want him and gave him away. Out of sight, out of mind. Brook said, that couldn’t be further from the truth. It wasn’t that she didn’t love or want him. She wasn’t ready to be a mother – she was just a kid – but she never forgot him. Gio asked if she ever came looking for him, but she said she didn’t think it was right to bust into his life and upend his whole world. He said, like what happened tonight, and Dante said Gio was angry and confused. He was too. Gio said they’d all been lied to, but it made no difference about what he thought. Brook said she was there to answer any questions, but Gio said it was too late. He was leaving. He walked out the door and Emma followed. Tracy said Brook had to let him go.

Nina said, Drew sold Willow on a fairytale romance, saying he was so in love with her, and Maxie said, and the whole time he was sleeping with her mom. Nina said if she told Willow, she’d see Drew for the liar he was, and Maxie said, one would only hope, but it didn’t guarantee Willow would get back with Michael. Nina said, all that mattered was getting Michael to a more equitable place regarding custody, and Maxie asked if Nina thought it would be easier if Drew was out of the picture. Nina said, exactly, but she didn’t know if she had the guts. What if she lost Willow? Maxie said it was a definite gamble, and Nina said Willow would know she said nothing while Willow threw her life away for a man she knew was lying the entire time. Willow was never going to forgive her for that.

Nina said, as a mother, she knew if she told Willow the truth, Willow might have a chance to hold on to her children. But as a mother, she couldn’t bear the thought of losing Willow. Maxie said she got it. Nina didn’t get the chance to raise Willow. Nina said she didn’t get the chance to be a mother to Nelle and Willow is her only child, and Maxie suggested she stay quiet for now.

Michael told Carly, as soon as he was strong enough, he called Diane and she told him about the court date. He arranged for a flight home asap. Josslyn said he looked great and asked if he was holding out on them, and he said he didn’t want to get their hopes up. After he talked to Diane, he thought surprise was the best strategy. Josslyn said, Willow was definitely surprised, when the doorbell rang. Jason left to get it, and Michael said he knew everyone would be at the Nurses Ball and figured it would be the best time. Jason brought Mac in and Carly asked what he was doing there. Mac said, investigating a kidnapping.

Ned said, the Quartermaines would have loved Brook’s child, and Lois said they would have, but they would have felt it was within their rights to control the child. Gio had the right to grow up to be whoever and whatever he wanted to be. It was her mom’s idea, but she was on board, and Gio grew up happy and healthy, and they were right there in case anything went wrong. She wasn’t thinking about how it might affect anyone 20 years later. Ned said he’d been living with his own grandson for over a year, and Lois said, it wasn’t fair, but she felt it was the best solution. She told herself it was what Ned would have wanted. Ned said she was right in saying it wasn’t fair, when Olivia came in. Ned said he was done here, and Olivia told him, go ahead. She had some words for her good friend Lois.

Dante said Gio was their kid, who Brook never told him about, and he barely knew, and Tracy said she’d let them talk privately. She wanted them to do her a favor. Try not to let their pain obscure the fact they met their son and he’s a wonderful boy. She left and Brook said Dante had every right to hate her. Dante said he didn’t hate her. He just didn’t know why she didn’t tell him. She said she was completely freaked. All she could think was that she’d screwed up and was in huge trouble. She didn’t want him to deal with that trouble too. They hadn’t made any promises. It was a summer romance. What would he have done if she’d told him? He said he had no idea. She never gave him the chance to have a choice. She knew he cared about her and respected her, and she returned that sentiment by lying to him for 22 years.

Emma brought Gio to the footbridge and said, this place was important to her mom. Whenever she needed a minute to think, she came here. Gio said it was peaceful, and Emma agreed. She thought he could take a minute to catch his breath and decide what he wanted to do next. He said he had no idea, and she put her hand on his.

Brook said she’d lied to Dante, and she was sorry, but she did what she had to do. He said she did whatever was easiest, but she said, none of it was easy. She didn’t know the first thing about being a mom. He said he’d like to think if she’d told him, he’d have done the right thing and stepped up. He got why she didn’t tell him then, but why not now? They were friends and she could have told him at any point. She said, too much time had passed, and the fallout seemed like it would be worse. Her only choice was to keep it buried. He asked if she would have told him if she hadn’t been forced to, and she says, probably not. When she gave the baby up, she thought they’d only meet if he came looking for her. She’d made peace with the fact he never did, because it meant he was content in his own life. She had no clue it was Gio, and they were living in the same house. Dante said, so Gloria and Lois knew. Who else? They heard Chase calling for Brook in the foyer, and then he walked in. He asked Brook if it was really Gio, and she nodded. He held her as she cried.

Lois told Olivia that there was nothing she could say that she hadn’t said to herself, and Olivia said they’d been best friends since preschool. They did everything together their entire lives. How could she? Lois said, Brook didn’t want anyone to know, but when she needed help, obviously, Lois told her mother. Olivia said, Lois was the closest thing she had to a sister. She would have never kept a secret like that from Lois. Lois said, until she was in the exact same position, Olivia couldn’t say what she’d do. She did what she thought was best for Brook and Gio’s privacy. Olivia said, Lois did what was best for herself. She set it up to keep her grandson close, so she didn’t have to share him with anyone, even his mother. Shame on her. Lois said she guessed the glass house Olivia was living in helped her to see clearly. How dare Olivia look down on her when she didn’t tell Sonny that Dante was his son.

Nina said, Drew’s strategy was to portray Michael as an absentee father who took off on his kids, and Maxie said, to have fun in a burn unit? Nina said it wouldn’t work anyway now that Michael was home, and Maxie said Ric was a good lawyer. Nina said she hoped he won, and Maxie said Sasha had gotten a subpoena. Ric probably thought she saw or heard something at the Quartermaines that would work in Willow’s favor. Nina said, Sasha would probably be a hostile witness now, with Jason in the mix. He thought of Michael as his son. Maxie said, if Cody hadn’t blown Sasha’s cover story, they would have believed Sasha met some guy in a bar, but Cody found out it was Jason. Nina asked when Sasha said she met a random guy, and Maxie said, the night before Halloween, the night before Sam died. Maxie’s phone chimed and she said, Bailey Lous was awake and asking for her. She had to go. Nina thanked her for the talk, and Maxie said she was sorry she wasn’t much help. Nina said she was more help than she knew.

Carly asked Josslyn to stay the night, and Michael said Wiley and Amelia would be glad to see her in the morning. Josslyn said, okay, and Carly said, a slumber party! Michael thanked Sasha for her help, and she said she was happy to do it. Welcome home. Michael thanked Jason for everything, and Jason said he was proud of Michael, and they hugged.

Chase asked if Brook was okay, but she said she didn’t know. Dante asked if Chase knew, but Chase said, not about Gio. Brook told him about the baby a few months ago. Dante asked if Chase didn’t think he should know, and Brook said he wanted to tell Dante, but she begged him not to. It was her job to protect Gio’s life, and she knew Dante wouldn’t stop until he found his son. It wouldn’t be fair for Dante to confront him and completely upend his life and tonight proved it.

Olivia told Lois that she didn’t tell Sonny about Dante because she had to protect her son from being weaponized by his father’s enemies. What was she protecting Gio from? Lois said she didn’t lock Gio away in a tower. He grew up in the neighborhood, surrounded by the best people. He was happy and didn’t want for anything. Olivia said, except his real parents, but Lois said, he didn’t long for them. He had a mother who loved him. Olivia said, until he didn’t. Lois let him be orphaned when he had a mother and father right there. Lois said, by then it was too late. She had to respect the choices that were made. Olivia asked if she’d ever talked to Brook about the possibility of keeping the baby, but Lois said she knew Brook wasn’t ready to be a mother. Olivia asked if Lois thought she was ready when she was pregnant with Dante. Yet it was the best decision she ever made. Lois said, but it came at an incredible cost. Olivia gave up so much when she gave birth. She was the life of the party, and then she was a scared, tired, single mother. Brook knew she didn’t want that and she didn’t want it for Brook. Olivia said, they could have helped Brook and Dante. And for the record, she sacrificed nothing. She didn’t know Lois at all and if this was the real Lois, she didn’t want to know her. She walked out.

Sonny walked in and Lois told him, have at it. She deserved it and everyone else had taken their shot. Sonny said he would have helped, and she said he did help, even though he didn’t know Gio was his grandson. He said he could have done more, and Lois said when Brook got pregnant, they didn’t know Dante was his son. When Camilla died, the truth came out and Sonny had so much on his plate, she didn’t want to add another whopper on top of it. He said, Gio lost his mom. Didn’t she think he’d want more family? She said, he loved Camilla. They had an otherworldly connection, and she couldn’t take that away from Gio too. He asked if she was trying to give him a relationship with his grandson when she asked him to pay for Gio’s musical education, and she said she thought that way, she could share Gio with him without the truth ruining all these lives. He said he wished it had been different, but he appreciated what she was trying to do. She said she appreciated him saying that. Brook and Olivia were done. Her daughter and her best friend wanted nothing to do with her anymore. Sonny touched her arm.

Tracy said she was glad Chase was here. Dante was hurt and angry. Brook said Dante had a right to be, and Dante said, Dante is still here. Tracy said he was and his anger was justified. Just don’t direct it at Brook. Direct it at Lois, whose unilateral decision making got them into this fiasco. Brook said Lois betrayed her trust. If that wasn’t bad enough, she confided in Grandma Gloria, and Brook didn’t know the half of it. Lois let her worry and wonder how the baby turned out while she was watching him grow up. They’d asked if anyone knew besides her grandma, but Gloria was the only one she knew of. Dante asked how the hell Gio found out. Why now? Tracy looked at Brook.

Willow asked where her kids were, and Mac said, at Carly’s, fast asleep. He looked in on them himself. Drew said Willow was their mother. Did he have to go above Mac’s head? Mac said, he could try, but it wouldn’t do him any good. He handed Willow a paper and said it was a court order. Michael had been granted emergency custody until the hearing. It was all legal and above board. There was nothing they could do.

Carly said she was happy Michael was home, mostly for Wiley and Amelia. They needed him. Michael said he needed them too. Being separated from them was the hardest part of his recovery. Josslyn went upstairs, and Michael said, Carly told Diane to move on with the divorce without telling him. She said she wanted him to focus on her recovery, but if he thought she overstepped… He said she did the right thing and thanked her, and she said she was so relieved. Was he sure he didn’t leave too soon? He said, if he did, he didn’t care. It was time for him to come home.

Nina asked the bartender if he’d worked the night before Halloween. It was actually the night Congressman Cain got punched. She thinks she asked him to call the police. The bartender said that was him. Why? She said a friend came in the same night and she was wondering if he remembered seeing her. She showed him Sasha’s picture, and he said, Sasha Corbin, the Deception model. He had a huge crush on her. She was hitting the vodka hard. Nina asked if she met up with anyone, and he said he wasn’t into gossip. She said she didn’t like gossip either, but she’d make it worth his while. She slid a $100 bill toward him, and he said, a dude did eventually join her. Nina asked if he’d be able to ID him, and he said, you don’t forget a $500 tip. She showed him Jason’s picture, but he said, that’s definitely not the guy.

In the car, Drew asked Willow, please don’t do this, but she said she had to try. He asked if she wanted him to come with her, but she said the guard wouldn’t let him in, and his presence wouldn’t make things easier. He said he’d be there if she needed him and she said she knew. She got out of the car.

Lois said Brook told her to stay away from her and Gio. She was so afraid she’d lost them both. Sonny held her as she sobbed.

Gio said he couldn’t believe what his Aunt Lois said. Really his Grandmother Lois. Emma said his head must have practically exploded, and he said that’s what happened when he said Brook and Dante were his parents. He was in a daze when Emma found him. She said she knew something was wrong and he insisted on playing, and he said, the show must go on. He looked out to the audience and saw his family, people he’d known his entire life, and part of him shut down. The other part lost it completely. Emma said she didn’t blame him, and he said all he could think was, did they know? Ned, Olivia, and Sonny are his grandparents. Is that why Sonny paid for his music school? Emma said she knew from her mom that Sonny helped people whether they were family or not. She wondered if she could ask him something, and he said, sure. She asked why he smashed his violin. She knew how important it was to him. He said, because the violin was the biggest lie of all.

Chase told Brook that it had been a rough day. Maybe they should go to bed and start fresh in the morning. Ned walked in, and Brook said she needed a minute with her dad.

Willow was about to knock on Carly’s door, when Michael opened it. She said, please don’t do this. Don’t take her children away from her.

Nina asked if the bartender was absolutely positive this wasn’t the man with Sasha that night, and he said it was Jason Morgan, and she wasn’t with him. Nina said, the other man who was a big tipper, did he leave with Sasha? and the bartender said, they were both hammered. They had their hands all over each other. Nina asked if they left together, and he said, lucky bastard. She said, it wasn’t his man, was it? and showed him a picture of Michael. He said, yeah, that’s the guy, and Nina smiled.

Thursday:

There was a knock at Lulu’s door. No surprise, it was Dante.

Tracy met Olivia in the foyer and said she guessed congratulations were in order. Olivia and Tracy’s son were grandparents.

Brook told Ned that she was sorry. It wasn’t that she didn’t trust him or love him… He said it was all right and he understood. He hugged her and she cried.

Emma asked why Gio smashed his violin, and he said, because the violin was the biggest lie of all. He thought he got his talent from his mom and after she died, it made him feel like he was carrying a piece of her with him, but it turned out she wasn’t his mom.

Dante told Lulu that it was a messed-up night and he didn’t want to go around in circles. Did she tell Gio that he and Brook were his parents?

In the nook, Jason thanked Sasha for helping with Amelia, and she said she was relieved Michael was back. He deserved to be home with his children. She protectively touched her ever-growing bump.

Michael said he wasn’t discussing custody with Willow now. Go home. She asked him to let her say goodnight, but he said the kids were asleep. She said he knew the kids belonged with her, but he said, not anymore.

Lulu said Brook must have told Dante how she accidently on purpose found out, and he said he assumed she was the one who figured out the baby was Gio. Did she tell Gio? She said, no, but she did confront Lois in a dressing room at the Nurses Ball and thought Gio overheard. He asked why she did it, and she said, for him. She thought he deserved to know the truth and was only trying to help. He said she didn’t help anyone and made everything worse.

Tracy gave Olivia a drink and asked if she was all right, but Olivia said she didn’t know how she was. Gio was her grandson. She remembered when he was a baby. The whole neighborhood fell in love with him. She held him all the time and should have felt that she was holding her own flesh and blood. Tracy said Olivia wasn’t psychic – Olivia gave her a look – at least not then. Olivia wondered how Lois could do this to her and Ned, and Tracy asked if she’d talked to Ned. Olivia said, briefly, but he was in the living room with Brook now.

Brook said Ned had to be disappointed. She’d kept a huge secret and kept his grandson from him. He said he wished she’d come to him, but it was her life and he wasn’t going to second guess the choices she made. She said all she could think about was Gio. She’d wanted to meet her child for so long and it was a total nightmare.

Sasha said she was glad Michael was back and with his kids, but when it came to her and her baby, nothing had changed, and Jason said, obviously, they needed everyone to keep believing he was the father. She said, especially now that his custody case was coming up, and Jason said that he understood it wasn’t about Michael, but about what she needed. She said she felt like a hypocrite, but he said, it was two different situations. Michael could trust her, but couldn’t trust Willow. She said it was like nothing mattered but Drew and Willow was about to lose her children because of him.

Willow asked how Michael could say that. She was the children’s mother and had been their sole parent for months. He said she’d uprooted them from their home and forced them to play family with their great uncle, but she said they loved Drew and Scout and their new home. He said when he talked to Wiley, Wiley always had the same two questions. When was his daddy coming back and when could he and Amelia go home? That’s when it hit him that Willow had been putting her own wants and desires above the kids’ welfare. He had a court order to back him up. She said it was temporary, but he said he was going for full custody. He’d let her have a relationship with the kids on one condition.

Cody found Sasha in the nook, and said he’d come to check on Dante, but Yuri said he left. She asked why Dante wouldn’t be all right, and he said she didn’t hear what happened at the Nurses Ball.

Gio said he should go, and Emma said she wasn’t telling him what to do or how to feel, but she wasn’t leaving him alone. He said he didn’t need a babysitter.

Lulu told Dante that she was sorry. She’d never meant things to come out like this. He said she should have minded her own damn business, but she said she kept thinking about her experience with Charlotte and the time she missed out on. She didn’t want him and Gio to miss out. He asked why she didn’t just tell him, and she said Brook begged her not to. He said she’d never cared about Brook’s feelings before, and she said she never searched for his son. Things just started happening and she suspected it was Gio. Brook wasn’t just keeping a secret; she was lying. Dante said, Brook didn’t know it was Gio. He could buy her wanting to bring them together, but she just wanted everyone to see Brook as bad as she made Brook out to be. It didn’t excuse what Brook did, but Lulu allowed her petty rivalry to upend so many lives. And the one who paid the biggest price was the only one innocent in all of this – Gio.

Willow asked, what condition? and Michael said he’d give her access to the children if she ended her relationship with Drew. She also had to move out and have no contact. Willow said he was being spiteful because he hated seeing her happy, but he said he didn’t care if she was happy or not. He didn’t want that man around his kids. Drew was an awful person and had made her awful. Her life was imploding, and she was making one bad decision after another. Who did she love more, Drew or the kids? It’s time she made that decision. He closed the door, leaving her outside.

Willow went back to the car, and Drew asked, how’d it go? She told him to take her home. She wanted to get out of there.

Michael thanked Jason for coming back and suggested they talk outside. He wanted to thank Jason again for everything he did tonight and looking out for Sasha. Jason said it was no big deal, but Michael said it was a big deal letting everyone think he was the baby’s father. Jason said he’d do anything to protect Michael and his kids, and Michael said it felt wrong not helping Sasha, but Jason said she wanted to raise the baby on her own. Plus, he couldn’t give Willow more ammunition to use in court. Michael said, seeing Sasha made it hit home that the baby was coming soon, and Jason asked if he was hoping Sasha would change her mind. Michael said in an ideal world he’d like to be a father to his child.

Sasha said she felt bad for Gio, Brook, and Dante, and Cody said, it was a colossal mess. It didn’t have to be, and he believed it wouldn’t have been if he hadn’t stuck his nose in it. She said it sounded like Lulu would have uncovered it with or without his help, and he asked why he kept shooting his mouth off. First about Jason being her baby daddy and now this. She said she hated the term baby daddy, and he was just trying to do right by someone he cared about. He said he was sorry he hadn’t been a better friend to her, Dante, or Lulu. He should have told Lulu to drop it.

Ned asked if Brook was able to talk to Gio, and she said she tried to explain that she didn’t know he was her son, and she hadn’t lied. Gio was so angry and so hurt, he accused her of not wanting him and forgetting about him, which couldn’t be further from the truth. Ned said he’d understand when things settled down. It was Lois and Gloria’s doing, not hers. Brook said, just because you understand the facts doesn’t change the way you feel. What if he never gave her a chance to love him? Ned said he highly doubted that would be the case and they hugged.

Olivia said she kept thinking how Gio brought them all together, and Tracy said, oh God. Now she had blood ties to Sonny Corinthos. Olivia said, now she was a member of a large and ever-growing club, and Tracy said, all the more reason to run Sonny out of town. He’d been a terrible influence already and would do more to corrupt Gio. She wouldn’t have it.

Jason said he’d gotten to know Sasha and understood where she was coming from. She thought Michael was a great father. She wouldn’t have helped with Amelia if she didn’t believe that. She’d been through a lot and valued her independence. Michael said he’d do his best to respect her decisions. He knew it was going to be a knockdown, drag out fight with Willow and Drew. Jason asked if there was any room for compromise.

Willow told Drew that Michael was so cold and calculating. She’d never seen him like this. (I believe that’s what she said the last time he was like this.) He’s not the Michael she knew. Drew said, he wouldn’t let her see the kids? and she said, no, and if he got his way, she’d never see them again unless… she breaks things off with him. He said, obviously, that wasn’t going to happen, right? and she said she didn’t know if she had any choice. (What is wrong with this woman? If it was a choice between some guy and my dogs, I’d pick the dogs. Also, if everyone is calling you a donkey, you need to start looking in the mirror for the ears and tail.)

Gio said Emma had been great and now he was yelling at her. She said she was an old pro at getting yelled at. Go for it. He said what he needed was to wake up from this nightmare. Who knew what and when? And were they ever going to tell him? Emma said she thought Brook and Dante were telling the truth. They didn’t know he was their son. Dante didn’t know he had another son. Gio said he believed they weren’t lying. When Rocco had alcohol poisoning, Dante was honest about what he thought of him. He’d always wanted to know what his father thought of him and now he did. His father hated him.

Lulu said it wasn’t about trashing Brook or making her look any kind of way. Dante deserved to know he had a son… Dante said she should have told him immediately, as soon as she suspected it was Gio, and she said she wanted to. Carly warned her… He said, Carly knew? and she said she had to confide in someone. He said she confided in everyone – Carly, Cody, but not him. She said she was sorry, but she wasn’t the bad guy. Brook gave up their baby. He said he was pissed at Brook and would hash it out with her, but that was between them. Gio was feeling like trash now because she wanted to prove how terrible Brook was. For what? To get in his good graces? She asked if he thought she did this to win him back.

Michael said he told Willow that unless she left Drew and severed contact, she couldn’t be part of their children’s lives, and Jason said, assuming the case went his way. Michael said it would, and Jason asked what Willow said. Michael said she thought he was punishing her for being happy, and Jason asked if there was any truth in that. Michael said, maybe a little at first, but then he thought about Wiley and Amelia. The only thing that mattered was what was best for them. Willow kept putting her needs and Drew’s above the kids and he didn’t see that changing.

Willow said she didn’t want to end things with Drew, but Michael threatened to keep the kids from her, and Drew said he couldn’t. Michael just wanted her to think that. She said, why not? Now that Michael was back in Port Charles, everything changed. Drew said a judge would decide that. She didn’t want to surrender before she went to court. She wouldn’t lose. Trust him. He wouldn’t let that happen. Willow said she did trust him, but it was a huge risk, and he said, even if she gave in, who’s to say Michael would hold up his end of the bargain? She’d be all alone and at his mercy. Willow said he was right. She couldn’t trust Michael at all. She knew he could be a ruthless man, but how he spoke to her was just plain cruel. Drew wondered, what kind of person made a woman choose between her kids and the man she loves? Michael was using it as leverage, to get revenge. She said Michael told her that she was putting her needs above the kids, but that’s what he was doing. He kidnapped them just to keep her apart from them. Drew said, it was an ambush, and she said she couldn’t have such a vengeful cold-hearted man raising her children. She took off her rings and put them on the dashboard, and said she was planning on taking them off after the divorce was official, but after tonight, her marriage was over. She’d return them in the morning. Drew took one of the rings and said, not this one. This stayed with them.

Olivia went into the living room and asked how it was going. Brook said, better, and asked if they could talk. Ned left to give them privacy, and Brook said she understood if Olivia was furious with her. She gave away Olivia’s grandchild and never told her. She was so sorry. Olivia said Brook was under no obligation to tell her anything. No one understood more than she did. She’d been a scared pregnant teenager once herself. Brook said Olivia kept the baby and it worked out, and Olivia said, until Dante went undercover and was shot by his own father because she never told them about each other. She understood more than anyone. Just remember one thing. She was always here for Brook, no matter what. Brook said she wouldn’t mind a hug, and they hugged.

Tracy told Ned that she had a confession to make. She knew Brook had a baby. He asked, for how long? Why didn’t she tell him? She said she just found out and Brook swore her to secrecy. She had started to look for her great-grandson, but somebody beat her to it. He asked if she knew who it was, and she said she had a pretty good idea.

Dante told Lulu that he never said she was trying to win him back, but she said, close enough. It never once crossed her mind to use the information to get back together with him. He said, it will never happen, and she said, obviously. He said she blew up the only chance of him having a relationship with his son, and she asked how it was her fault. He said, Gio wanted nothing to do with him, and she said she was sorry. She hoped he and Gio worked things out, but as far as they were concerned, she didn’t want him back – ever.

Sasha said she couldn’t think of what Cody could have said to get Lulu to back off, and he said he could have tried. It broke his heart tonight. Gio was so hurt and angry. He smashed his violin to pieces on the stage. He saw so much of himself in Gio. Discovering his life was a lie was super painful, and he didn’t like the people who raised him. Gio loved his mom, or at least he thought he did. Sasha said things worked out for Cody in the end. He was welcomed into an amazing family. Maybe the same would be true for Gio. He told her, that’s what Lulu said. He only hoped they were right. It didn’t have to be like this.

Michael told Jason that he didn’t like the idea of taking the kids away from their mother. They loved her, but he had to protect them. Jason said he knew it was a complicated situation, but he trusted Michael to do what was right. As always, Michael had his full support. Michael said that meant a lot, but he wasn’t sure the kids would feel the same way, and Jason said it was only a matter of time before Wiley and Amelia would know he did the best for them.

Willow said, that ring belonged to Lila, and Drew said she was his grandmother. He had as much right to it as Michael did. He understood if she didn’t want to wear it, but maybe one day when she was old enough, they’d give it to Amelia. Willow said Michael was going to use her infidelity against her, but Drew said Michael wasn’t squeaky clean. They’d dig up whatever Michael was hiding and then blow him out of the water. He started the car (I wondered, where’s Kristina with the wire cutters when you need her?) and they left.

Michael watched a sleeping Wiley and promise that he’d never leave him and his sister again. He kissed Wiley’s forehead.

Sasha said Cody couldn’t go back and change what happened. All he could do was learn from it. He said it wasn’t up to him to expose other people’s secrets, especially when a child was involved, and she said, sometimes parents kept secrets to protect their children. Those decisions should be respected and left alone. She caressed her bump.

Ned said, Lulu knew about the baby too? Was he the only one left in the dark? Tracy said Lois and Gloria were extremely unfair to him. He was an excellent father and would be an even better grandfather. He needed to work on being a better son though. While he was sipping cocktails, she was left to rot at the PCPD. Jason bailed her out. He said he called to check on her several times and was told she wasn’t available. He knew she could take care of herself. She was one of the strongest people he knew. It’s where Brook got her hutzpah. Tracy said he was flattering her to get her to forgive him, and he asked if it was working. She said, no, and he laughed.

Brook wondered if she’d made a mistake and should have kept baby like Olivia, but Olivia said the choice Brook made was as valid as hers. They both required massive sacrifice. They did what they thought was best at the time for themselves and their children. Nobody could fault them. Brook said, except Gio. She tried to talk to him, but he couldn’t get away from her fast enough. Olivia said, once he calmed down – and he would – they’d find him – and they would – and make sure he knew how much they all loved him.

Emma said Dante didn’t hate Gio, but Gio said she didn’t hear the things Dante had said. She said, even if Dante hated him – which he didn’t – he wasn’t alone. He had so many people who cared about him, her included. Why not come back to her grandma’s and stay for a while? She’d love it. He said he couldn’t impose, but she said, we can’t stay here. It was chilly. He said, we? and she said, where he went, she went. He just needed to decide where that was. He said, anywhere but here. The further away, the better. She said, okay. Let’s go.

Lulu told Dante, from now on, they’d stick to co-parenting Rocco. She didn’t even see the need to be friends. He said, sounds like a plan. He’d be back in the morning. He’d be the one to tell Rocco that he had a half-brother, not her. Other than that, stay out of his life please, and stay the hell away from Gio. She’d done enough damage. He left and she cried.

🫔 Friday’s Enchilada…

Elizabeth says, it’s been such a long time since she had a yogurt parfait from Perks. Now Ric just happened to show up with one. How weird. He says he does know her. He also got her a dragon berry juice. It’s good for everything. This stuff is going to change her life. She asks if he’s saying her life needs changing, but he says, no. She sounded like she needed cheering up, being cooped up in the house. Elizabeth said, it’s not that bad. She’s sad she missed the Nurses Ball. He asks if she got to watch it on TV, and she says, of course (🍷). The nurses were amazing, and it was hard to top Lucy, Felicia, Anna, and Spinelli. The fact that Spinelli filled in for Tracy at the last moment made it better. He says he can’t imagine which performance was denied because of Tracy’s arrest on the red carpet. There’s a knock at the door and Laura walks in.

Alexis tells Kristina and Lucky, for the record, this meeting is covered by attorney/client privilege. Please start by telling her everything that happened the night Kristina tried to kill Ava.

Carly asks if Curtis has a minute. She didn’t mean to interrupt. He says, no problem. Have a seat. He heard Michael was back from Germany and doing great. She says, better than they expected. They’re thankful and grateful. He says, Michael deserves it. He’s sure the rest of the family has a lot to catch up on. Tell Michael that he’ll reach out later. What can he do for her? She says she’s not sure if he’s aware, but Michael’s divorce proceedings start today. Michael would never ask for a favor, so she’s here to do it for him. Michael could really use his help.

Michael asks Sasha how she’s doing. Is she sleeping okay? Does she have any strong cravings? Does she want to sit down? The baby kicks, and she says, whoa. That was a good one. It’s been happening a lot lately. Does he want to feel it? She puts his hand on her bump.

Ava goes to Nina’s office and says she sounded panicked on the phone. What’s going on? Nina says, a little. She just got new information that could guarantee her daughter getting full custody of her children. Ava says, wonderful, but Nina says she doesn’t want to use it.

Emma wakes up (in a hotel room? a cabin?), but Gio isn’t there. She gets up and hears the door. He comes in and asks if she’s okay. She says she is now. She thought he took off. He says, no. He would never do that to her, especially now. She’s the only person on earth that he trusts.

On the phone, Brook thanks Anna for letting her know. Even if Gio’s not here, at least he’s with Emma. She’s sure they’ll hear from them any minute… She knows they will and just had to say thanks. Lois walks in and Brook tells her that Gio is with Emma. Lois asks if he’s okay, but Brook says she doesn’t have the right to ask that question. How could he possibly be okay?

Laura says she doesn’t usually barge in, but she didn’t want Elizabeth to stand up. She sees Elizabeth has company, so she’ll see her later. Elizabeth says, it’s okay. She and Ric were just catching up and drinking dragon berry juice. Would Laura like some tea? Laura says she’d love some, but can handle getting tea. Ric offers to get it and goes to the kitchen. Elizabeth says Ric just surprised her by stopping by with breakfast and dragon berry juice. Laura says she’s never heard of it, and Elizabeth says, Ric swears by it. He says it’s good for everything. Laura says she wouldn’t be surprised if Ric stopped by with dragon berry juice every time Lucky stepped out of the house, and Elizabeth asks if she’s suggesting Ric is watching the house and waiting for Lucky to leave. Laura said she’s suggesting he’s not above that behavior, and they laugh.

Alexis says, Kristina intended to kill Ava, and the accident hurt two other people, so that’s two other crimes. Kristina says she knows she shouldn’t have done it, and Alexis says, the crash was labeled an accident, but if the police investigate, they’ll tie her to the cut brake lines and she’ll go to prison. The question is, for how long? They both need to tell her everything that happened that day. Don’t leave anything out. Kristina says, they told her everything, but Alexis says she’s looking at mitigating circumstances, anything that can reduce Kristina’s culpability. So please walk her through the entire day. Kristina says she went to see Ava. They day before, her dad had collapsed, and Ava just stood there and didn’t do anything.

Curtis says, Michael is his friend, and he’ll help in any way he can, and Carly says, Willow and Drew are accusing Michael of abandonment. Curtis asks what the hell they’re thinking, and Carly tells him that they’re saying Michael could have gotten treatment in Baltimore and been close to Wiley and Amelia. He says, getting the best medical treatment shouldn’t cost Michael his kids, and she agrees. She says she hopes the judge sees through Ric’s argument, but just in case, it would be helpful if Aurora Media would remind people that Drew Cain is a con artist. He’s not a man who uses his position as congressman to help people. He uses his position to get revenge and settle scores. Curtis says, she’s preaching to the choir. He knows exactly the kind of man Drew is. She says, if they focus a media attack on showing all of Drew’s missteps since he took office, it could sway public opinion or it could help the judge rule in Michael’s favor. What does he think?

Nina tells Ava, the night Drew admitted he kissed Willow, Michael stormed out and stayed out all night. Willow told her because she was so worried. It was the same night Sasha found out Cody was her cousin, and they had to break up. The bartender at the Brown Dog Bar told her that Michael and Sasha were there. They got drunk together and left together. Ava says, so maybe they slept together, which would mean Michael is probably the father of Sasha’s baby. All Ric would need was the implication to get a judge to believe Michael cheated before Willow. Plus, that means Michael was hiding a pregnant mistress, which might be enough to get a judge to give Willow full custody. Nina says, exactly. Willow will get everything she wants. Ava asks why Nina hasn’t told Ric, and Nina says, one reason is that she loves Sasha and to exploit that Michael is the father of her baby would be a big betrayal. She doesn’t want to hurt Sasha.

Michael thanks Sasha for letting him feel the baby. It was a good one too. She says, they all are lately. She’s glad he was here when it happened. He says, him too. Actually, he was hoping to ask her for another favor. She says, of course (🍷). Whatever he needs. He says his divorce hearing is today. It would be great if she stayed with Wiley and Amelia while he was in court. She says she loves spending time with his adorable children, but she can’t watch them today. She’ll be at the hearing too. He asks, why? and she says, Ric is calling her as a witness.

Gio looks at his phone and sees tons of unread messages and missed calls. Emma says, a lot of people are probably trying to get in touch with him, but he says he’s not ready for any of that yet. She says he doesn’t have to be. At least not yet. She bets everyone is worried though. He says, half the messages are from people he doesn’t know. People who are so close to him, he doesn’t even have their numbers in his phone. Now they’re family. No. He doesn’t buy it for a single second. That’s also a lie. He’s supposed to believe Tracy prizes family blood relatives more than anything, and now that he’s an official Quartermaine, she cares what he thinks. Emma says, to be fair, Tracy doesn’t really care what anybody thinks, and Gio says, and there’s Sonny. He had some cool conversations with him about music. That’s it, and he’s supposed to think of Sonny as his grandfather now. No. Knowing they’re related doesn’t make him feel different. He’s not having fake relationships with any of them. She says she knows it’s hard, and he says, it’s also a lie. And he’s supposed to believe that Tracy prizes family above everything.

Brook asks why Lois is even here, and Lois says she was concerned about Gio. She knows Brook is furious with her, but she just wanted to make sure Gio was all right. Brook says she doesn’t know how he is. He couldn’t get out of here fast enough last night. All she knows is that Emma told Anna that they were together somewhere. Lois says, they’ve got to find him, and wonders if Anna can track Emma’s phone, but Brook says, no. Gio’s entire life blew up in his face. She needs to explain herself and ask forgiveness, but it’s not more important that Gio’s need for time and space. She’s not going to do to him what Lois is doing to her. Lois asks what she’s talking about, and Brook says, Lois came to get forgiveness and have Brook say she understands. She has no interest in taking care of Lois’s feelings after Lois betrayed her trust.

Lois says she hates what she did, but she only did it because she thought it was best for Brook and Gio. She did exactly what Brook asked and found the baby a good home. Brook says, with her own family, and Lois says, Camilla just lost her husband and said she felt like she had nothing to live for. Ma told her about the baby, and they could feel the light come back to her eyes. All she wanted to do was raise Gio and love him. She promised Brook that she’d find her child a good family and that’s exactly what she did. Brook says, Lois also lied to everyone, including her. Now she knows why Lois encouraged her not to tell Dante about the baby. Lois says she was trying to shield Brook. She was going through so much and she was so scared. Brook says, of course (🍷). All she wanted was to not be pregnant and for this to not be happening. Lois gave her the closest thing to it. She told Brook to tell no one, not even her dad. She could go on tour with Lois for a few months, have the baby, and go back to her life like nothing happened. Lois offered her a lifeline made of secrets and God forgive her, she took it.

Carly says, up until now, Aurora has been neutral, some would say charitable, about Drew’s behavior, but Curtis says he didn’t think it was right to use his platform to further his personal agency. That’s something Drew would do. She says she respects that, but isn’t asking him to print anything that’s not true. She just wants the world reminded that Drew seduced his nephew’s wife. Then he tried to dig up the Quartermaine crypt just to get back at Tracy. And let’s not forget the congressman embarrassed everyone in Port Charles with pictures of him with a sex worker. Curtis says, what about Drew accusing Tracy of drugging him? and Carly says, ketamine is a party drug. It’s more likely Drew took it recreationally. Otherwise, are they supposed to believe Tracy got her hands on some ketamine, dosed Drew, and left the evidence in her car? She doesn’t think so. Curtis admits the scenario seems unlikely. He wants to help Michael, but he can’t.

Michael wonders why Ric would want Sasha to testify unless he found out Michael was the father of her baby, and Sasha says that was her first thought too. But the only people who know are her, Michael, and Jason. Danny knows Jason isn’t the father, but doesn’t know who the father is. She thinks their secret is safe. He asks if she’s sure, and she says, yes. During her deposition, Ric’s questions were pretty straightforward. He wanted to know about Michael and Willow, but no baby related questions at all. Michael says, okay, good, and Sasha says, Diane, on the other hand, asked thoroughly about her seeing Drew and Willow kissing on July 4th, and the fact Willow asked her not to tell him, which Ric hated. Diane doubts Ric will call her as a witness. He says he’s glad Diane is on his side, and she says her too. He asks, what’s wrong? and she says, during the deposition yesterday, she realized if she had told him about Drew and Willow kissing when it happened, maybe it would have prevented all of this. Maybe he and Willow would have worked it out and they’d still be married.

Nina said she’d seen firsthand how much being pregnant again meant to Sasha, and Ava said, after what Sasha went through, she was sure. She was happy for Sasha. Nina said her too. Sasha had gone to great lengths to conceal Michael’s paternity. If that information were revealed, Sasha’s whole life would be turned upside down. Ava says, considering the father’s dysfunctional family, that’s the least of what could happen, and Nina says she doesn’t want to ruin Sasha’s happiness. Ava says she understands that, but Sasha did sleep with Michael. Why do they get to keep their dirty little secret when Willow’s life is out there on social media for everyone to comment on? Nina says, it’s not fair, but Drew is at fault. He turned Willow’s life into a circus. That’s another reason she doesn’t want to give Ric ammunition. If Willow gets full custody, she is never ever going to leave Drew.

Michael told Sasha that Drew made his way into the existing cracks in his and Willow’s relationship. If it had been as strong as he thought, there was no way Drew would have gotten between them. Sasha asks if he really believes that, and he says, absolutely. Looking back, as much as he loved Willow, he never saw her clearly. She says, Willow made it hard to see the real her, and he says he was so desperate to make her happy, he doesn’t think he knew who she was. He thought she was a good, honest person, someone better than him. So he made sure to show her only the best parts of himself. He kept a lot from her. He doesn’t think Willow ever got to know the real him. Sasha says she hears him taking responsibility, but what about Willow? He adored her and gave her everything she ever wanted, and she threw their marriage away. She deserves a sleaze like Drew. Michael says, she can have him. They can’t take away his kids.

Curtis says he would like nothing more than to remind the world how unfit Drew is for public office, but it could backfire spectacularly. He may run Aurora Media, but Michael is the majority shareholder. If he runs a smear campaign, Drew could wind up looking like a victim. He wants to take Drew down as much as Carly does, but that ain’t the way to do it. She says she guesses he’s right, and he says, don’t worry. He’s working on something else.

Elizabeth thanks Ric for breakfast, and he says, anytime. Madam Mayor, always a pleasure. Laura says, him too, and he leaves. Elizabeth says she hates to admit it, but the dragon berry juice is really good. She and Ric will always be friends, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t set firm boundaries. Laura says she’s sure Elizabeth has, and Elizabeth thanks her. She says, when it comes to Lucky, Ric is nothing but a problem, and Laura says, of course (🍷). Lucky sees Ric as a potential rival.

Kristina tells Alexis that she wasn’t thinking clearly. If not for Lucky telling her to leave when he did, the cops probably would have seen her. Alexis asks, how? and Kristina says she was freaked out and openly at the scene, but off to the side. Alexis asks, how many were at the scene? but Kristina says she doesn’t know. Lucky says he thinks there were two cops, four paramedics, and at least a couple of firefighters. At the time, everyone was too busy to notice, but cops have bodycams and could probably obtain the footage. Kristina says, the police definitely know she was there, and Alexis says, why? Was she interviewed? Kristina says, no, but she did tell Dante that she saw Ric’s crashed car.

Emma asks if Gio slept at all, and he says, no. He just lied there all night thinking about all the people who’ve been lying to him. Emma asks if he thinks there are people besides Brook and Lois who knew, and he says, not Brook and Dante so much, but Sonny. He and Lois have known each other forever. If she told anybody, it would be him. And that would explain why Sonny’s been so generous, paying for his entire education and all his music stuff. Emma asks if he thinks Sonny lied, and he says he didn’t think his mother… Camilla would. Emma says, she didn’t tell him the whole truth, but she didn’t lie to him about her feelings. She was his mom and loved him. He says, Emma doesn’t know that, and she says she never met Camilla, but the way he talked about her and the stories about him growing up… All he needs to know is that he loved her and she loved him too.

Lois says she doesn’t have to apologize to anyone. She did what was right. Brook says, it wasn’t right. Instead of the closed adoption she agreed to, Lois gave the baby to her cousin. He grew up down the block. She used to babysit him and play with him, and she never knew he was her son. Lois says, it tore her up every single time, but when Ma suggested Camilla, she was too selfish to say no. She was so scared to send the baby out into the world. This way, she didn’t have to and could look over at him and make sure he was okay. Brook says, he wasn’t okay when Camilla died. She was an adult. Why not tell her then? Lois says, Gio was devastated when his mother died. What was she gonna do? Add to his grief by telling him that his mom wasn’t his mom? Brook says that’s an excuse, and Lois says, Brook was an adult trying to make it in the music business. She was taking every gig she could. Should she have called Brook and told her to come home? No. She gave Gio a good home and gave Brook her freedom and that was the right thing to do.

Alexis asks if the police know Lucky was there, and he says he ran over when he saw Elizabeth was one of the victims. He talked to the paramedics and followed the ambulance to GH. Alexis says, it doesn’t necessarily matter that Kristina witnessed the scene, and Ric and Ava’s footage from the garage doesn’t show Kristina cutting the brakes. Lucky says he thinks the only thing that’s incriminating is the car. That’s why he went to the impound, but the guy said it had already been crushed. He thought that was the end. Alexis says, now they know Ava bribed the guy to say that, because the car is hidden somewhere nobody knows. He asks, what’s the next move? and Alexis says, they need to stay as far away from this as possible. Even if the police know they were both there, it doesn’t necessarily connect them. Lucky says, that’s it? He wants to help in any way he can. Alexis says he’s been very helpful. She has a better idea of how the day went and where they’re most vulnerable. He says, okay, and Kristina thanks him. Not just for helping, but believing she never intended to kill anyone. He says, just call if they need him, and leaves. Kristina asks what Alexis thinks. Is there any way out of this?

Elizabeth says it sounds like Laura knows something. Did Lucky talk to her about Ric? Laura says, no, not at all, and she certainly never asked him about it. Mother’s intuition. When she watched Lucky looking at Elizabeth, it was so clear she was the woman he never fell out love with. Now they were living together again. Elizabeth says, it’s wonderful having him here. She just doesn’t know if it’s enough. When you love someone you know is good at rescuing you, but not so good at the mundane day to day stuff, what do you do to make the relationship work? Laura says, Lucky is so much like his father, and Elizabeth says, yes, and she knows how much Laura and Lucky’s father loved each other. Yet they couldn’t make it work. Maybe she’s naïve to think she and Lucky could.

Portia goes to Curtis’s office, and he says, they need to talk. She says, about what? and he says, the fact that Carly came by and asked him for help with Michael. He couldn’t do it because Drew was holding Portia’s crimes over their heads. She says, he’s not the only one who’s frustrated. She tried to stop Drew herself, but she failed.

Nina says, if she tells Ric the truth about Sasha and Michael, Willow will probably get full custody, and it will have worked out exactly the way Drew promised her. Ava says, and Nina doesn’t want to give him credit? and Nina says, no, but Drew already bought a house in DC. He was talking about bringing Willow and the kids there permanently. If Willow gets full custody, she’ll lose her daughter and her grandkids. Ava says, what happens if Michael gets custody? and Nina says she has no idea, but she knows Willow will want to stay here where Wiley and Amelia are. She has to believe that if Willow’s relationship costs her the children, she’ll eventually leave this man. So maybe she’s just better off in the long run if Willow doesn’t get full custody.

Elizabeth tells Laura that it’s wonderful having Lucky here, taking care of her the way he has. She actually feels like she can depend on him 100%. Does Laura think he’s happy here? Laura says she hopes so. But she thinks that’s what she wants. She wants him to live here with Elizabeth, the woman she knows he loves, and raise their child together. Elizabeth says, those are not bad things to want, but Laura says she doesn’t know if it’s right for both of them. She’d like them to figure out what’s right for them.

Ava says, Nina is in a no-win situation. Whatever choice she makes is a gamble. If Willow found out she knew about Michael and Sasha and didn’t tell her… Nina says, Drew made it perfectly clear that he wants Willow all to himself. And if he gets that, he’ll move them to DC in a heartbeat. Ava says she doesn’t envy either choice. They have ugly consequences. As a friend, the best advice she can give is for Nina to choose the consequences she can best live with.

Wiley says he was afraid Michael would be gone for a really long time, and Sasha asks why he thinks that. Wiley says, Uncle Drew told them that daddy couldn’t come back for a very long time, and Michael says, Drew was wrong. He’d never stay away a second longer than he had to. Daddy’s doctors fixed him up and he’s all better. Carly comes in and says, it’s so good to see him. Wiley asks if they can go swimming, and Carly asks what daddy thinks. Can they go swimming? Michael says, absolutely, and Wiley asks if mommy can come, but Michael says, not today. Sasha suggests they get their bathing suits on and takes the kids upstairs.

Alexis tells Kristina that the only way out of this mess is Ric’s car. As long as it exists, there’s proof the brake line was cut. Nothing Kristina or Lucky said could mitigate the attempted murder charges. Kristina says, so Alexis is going to continue to pay off Ric and Ava until they bleed the Cassadine trust dry? She hopes no one catches Alexis embezzling. Alexis says, until they find the car, Ava and Ric have the upper hand… until… unless she can get them to turn on each other. They’re both greedy, disgusting, duplicitous people. Kristina says, if they’re not in it together, they can turn on each other. How can we make that happen? Alexis says, we don’t do anything. Kristina doesn’t do anything. Let the PCPD investigate this. She’s got to stop being impulsive. Kristina says, maybe she should pay for what she’s done, but Alexis says, it will devastate Molly. If Kristina doesn’t intend to save her own life, do it for her sister.

Portia says she knows it was crazy to hire a sex worker, but she and Nina thought it would work, and Curtis asks if Nina knows what Drew has on her. Portia says she never told Nina why Drew wants to bring her down. It was enough that both of them needed to stop him. Curtis asks if they happen to know where Jacinda is now, and she says, Australia maybe. Nina gave her a lot of money to take an extended vacation somewhere remote. He says, so Drew can’t track her down, and Portia says, there’s one thing she hasn’t figured out. She and Nina drugged Drew. How did Tracy end up getting arrested or it? He says, Drew framed her.

Gio says he keeps remembering things about his mom, and Emma says, like what? Gio says, his dad Francis was in Iraq and before he died, he sent photos. Camilla never said Gio looked like him. She never said he had his dad’s eyes or his smile. She said he looked more like her side of the family. Emma says, now they know why, and Gio tells her, Camilla said when his dad was killed, she found out she was pregnant. She said having him saved her life. She called him her little miracle. Emma says, that was her truth. It makes sense, except the pregnant part. Having him come into her life at the lowest point, no matter how it happened, gave her a reason to keep on going. And he’s going to stand there and tell her that she’s not his mom. Gio says, she was definitely his mom. Brook is just the woman who gave him away.

Lois says, if she’d told Brook that Gio was her son after Camilla died, she wouldn’t have the life she has now. She wouldn’t be a strong, successful businesswoman working at Deception. She wouldn’t have met and married Chase. Would she have been willing to throw that away? Brook says, she’s asking the wrong question. Gio is her son, and all the choices Lois made robbed her of making her own choices for him. Now he’s an adult and she’ll never get the chance. Lois says she doesn’t know that, but Brook says, he won’t talk to her. She can’t help him through his identity crisis because he doesn’t trust her. Lois says, in time, he will, but Brook says, no, he won’t, because Lois showed them both that the one person you trust more than anyone in the world can lie to your face for years. So Lois should be asking how Brook can ever trust again, or Gio. She took away everything he knew about family and now he is no one.

Curtis asks how Drew knew she’d done something, and Portia says she has no idea… Wait a second. Brad is the only other person who knew. Curtis says, something else to hold over her head and it comes with serious jail time. If he can prove it. She says, he can’t prove her involvement. The ketamine traces back to Brad, an ex-con. Who’s going to believe an ex-con over her? He says he hopes she’s right. He has an idea on how to neutralize Drew. She says, okay. What is it? He says, they’ve got to do something Drew can’t do. They’ve got to find Jacinda.

Emma’s phone dings and she tells Gio that her grandma wants to know when she’s going to be home. He says, she should go back, but she says, he’s not getting rid of her that easy. He says he needs to get away and is thinking of a road trip to Canada. She says, okay, road trip it is. But he can’t just keep avoiding everybody. He needs to take care of how he really feels about family. Are they going back? He says, they’re going back.

Lois says she can make sure Gio knows no one was ever trying to hurt him, but Brook says, two things will never change. Gio will always know she gave him up, and she’ll always know Lois lied. Gio doesn’t want anything to do with her and she doesn’t want anything to do with Lois. Gloria walks in and says, hey! Don’t you dare talk to you mother like that. If you want to have out with someone, have out with me.

Alexis finds Laura in her office and asks if she forgot an appointment. Laura says, they didn’t have an appointment. She was looking over Ace’s trust fund and she’s very concerned. There seems to be a lot of money missing.

Elizabeth asks, how was the meeting? and Lucky says he went to see a lawyer about her car accident. She asks why he did that, and he says, because he knows more about her accident than he told her.

Michael tells Carly that he asked Sasha to watch the kids, but she couldn’t. She has to be in court. Did Carly know she was on the witness list? Carly says, Diane mentioned it. She thinks it’s a waste of time. What can Sasha testify to besides knowing Willow was sneaking around with Drew behind his back?

Ric goes to Nina’s office, and Ava says she didn’t expect him so soon. How did he make it back from his meeting in Beecher’s Corners so quickly? He says he has a fast car and knows a shortcut, and Ava says he’ll have to tell her all about it later. She’ll leave them both to it. She leaves, and Ric says he wanted to come by and make sure Nina is ready to testify. Nina says she actually doesn’t know what she’s going to say now, and he says he’s surprised. She has to testify to what she saw after Michael found out about the affair. She says, Michael let Willow take the children, and he asks if she has something new to add. Nina thinks about it.

On Monday, Brook asks if Lois regrets giving her baby to Camilla; Elizabeth asks what Lucky knows about her accident that he hasn’t told her; and Laura tells Alexis that 10 million dollars has been removed from Ace’s estate.

💉 A Dose Of Reality…

Below Deck Down Under

How does a superyacht not have enough dishes for a 7-course meal?

The Valley

Wah-wah-wah. Poor Jax. He claimed it was the first time he’d allowed himself to be vulnerable, but I swear we’ve heard that several before. Keep throwing that against the wall, Jax. Maybe it will stick eventually. Brittany let him see Cruz and got a horrible therapy session for her trouble. In her interview, she said he wanted to re-live his pre-Brittany days and it was sad since he was a 45 year old father. Agreed.

On my wish list.

Summer House

The Reunion Part 1. I gritted my teeth during the Toegate discussion, especially the debate over how much time should be taken with a toe. The set design evoked a sleepover, which was kind of cool, but I was less than impressed with the wardrobe. As for Gabby’s… dress? No, just no. No. Usually, my only Reunion outfit complaint is it being too extra, but this made me wonder if they knew they were going to be on TV. Kyle had once mentioned on Watch What Happens Live that certain companies would not hire cast members from Summer House, which didn’t surprise me. Imrul also found out there was a downside to letting the world see your party side. He was disinvited from a nephew’s birthday party after they’d seen the show, not feeling he was the best example. As Dr. Phil says, when you choose the actions, you choose the consequences.

Random Reality Items

New Housewives and new Villains, which are kind of the same thing.

He’s off to a great start. I’ve been following that story. Very creepy and very NYC.

👀 Last Weekend’s Watch…

Pee-wee as Himself. HBO/Max. 2-part documentary. I loved this film. At the end of his life, Paul Reubens said, I wanted somehow for people to understand that my whole career, everything I did and wrote, was based in love. From the moment the film started, I got that from his eyes alone. I was a Pee-wee’s Playhouse fan and often watched it Saturday morning, usually with a hangover, along with Lighting Force, a half-hour poor man’s A-Team starring Wings Hauser and a half-hour Tarzan starring a very hot Tarzan. Reubens discusses his entire career and the evolution of Pee-wee Herman, which was fascinating. Some of it is not new news, like his arrest in a porno theater and later for possessing child pornography, both of which were ridiculous. His so-called possession was his vintage erotica collection, which was shown. It was a big stretch saying the photo in question, one out of hundreds, was of someone underage. Still, he bounced back. Speaking of collections, I thought I had a lot of needless stuff, but Reubens was quite the collector of everything, especially pop culture items. I could have spent days combing through his impressive treasure trove. My only complaint is that the film wasn’t longer.

Mickey 17. HBO/Max. Whenever Bong Joon Ho is involved, I’m in. Mickey is an Expendable, who does the most dangerous work while testing a planet for habitability and when they die – not if, when – they’re simply reprinted and sent back out again. This did make me wish we could reprint our bodies. Make mine thinner please. Only one version of an Expendable is allowed to be alive at the same time, and two Mickeys collide when one is presumed dead. It was a very busy film, so you might have to concentrate, but it was definitely a new concept worth watching.

Southern Comfort. AMC+, Amazon Prime, TubiTV, et al. This is an old film from 1981, but it doesn’t feel dated. I’d seen it long ago and for whatever reason, it popped into my head, and I had to watch it again. During the Vietnam War era, a group of National Guardsmen participate in a training exercise in the Louisiana bayou. It’s the perfect cautionary tale of don’t act like you own the place when you don’t. Brion James is exceptional as a local they capture when the stupidity of one of the Guardsmen gets out of hand. Even after all these years, it did not disappoint.

General Hospital

Today’s GH Flashback brings us up to May 18th, 2020. You can catch the drift here, or jump into the whole snowbank at:

https://tvwiththeresa.wordpress.com/2020/05/19/may-18-2020-nelle-snags-a-husband-a-possible-nose-problem-return-listing-lotsa-free-distractions-sun-walkin/

Curtis and Jordan met with TJ and Molly at the MetroCourt. TJ told them that he and Molly realized they wanted to commit themselves to each other. Curtis thought they should celebrate, and Jordan wondered if they should have included Alexis. Sonny came along, and said he heard the exciting news. He congratulated them, and told TJ, welcome to the family. TJ said he was honored that Molly chose to spend her life with him. She was the best person he knew.

On the phone, Lucy told Ava that she had an all cash offer for the penthouse, but the call broke up, and Ava couldn’t hear who the buyer was. Cyrus walked up to her, saying her name, and she asked who he was. At the gym, Sam tried to get Alexis to exercise, but Alexis wanted to mope. Sam said last night, they’d eaten junk food and watched British rom-coms that only Alexis liked. I guess moping is only a one-day thing for Sam. Alexis said she liked being an attorney, and had been one her whole life. Couldn’t she take one week to mourn her career? She was disbarred, and wondered if she wasn’t an attorney, who was she? Judge Lowe said they’d waited long enough for Nelle, but Nelle ran in, wearing a wedding dress and carrying a bouquet. She said, the most incredible thing just happened. She was no longer Miss Benson, and she and her new husband had been unavoidably detained.

Sam suggested Alexis appeal. She told Alexis that she was an amazing attorney; she could get herself out of this. Alexis said it was perjury. It was a violation of her fundamental duties, and there was no coming back from it. Sam said she’d have to work on her second act then. She could sit back and figure out what she wanted to do. What Alexis wanted was to stay home and binge watch TV. Sam’s phone rang, and when she stepped away to take the call, Alexis kicked the boxing bag. Brando asked if it was her first time at the gym, and she said she was brought there against her will. He told her to blink once if she needed to be rescued, and she did. Sam came back, and asked why Brando was talking to her mother. Sonny said Kristina was excited about Molly and TJ’s upcoming domestic partnership, and gave him a lecture on how it was more enlightened. He told them if they were happy, so was he. He was sorry about what happened to TJ, but TJ said things were back to normal, except he was bummed that he had no details for Mac. It didn’t make sense; the kidnappers didn’t even ask for a ransom. Sonny asked what Mac had turned up, and Curtis said he was sure the PCPD was doing everything they could. Sonny said he was too, and moved on. Molly told TJ, the time without him was awful, but TJ said it was behind them; they were going forward now. Cyrus told Ava that he was new to Port Charles. He’d been skeptical of Lucy, since she was excitable, but she understood real estate, and the penthouse suited his needs. Ava said Lucy didn’t tell her his name, and he introduced himself, holding out his hand. Ava didn’t take it, and said she’d heard of him. He said he was aware of her reputation as well. She asked what he meant, and he said, as a gallery owner. He heard she was unveiling a new piece by Franco at Windymere, and said it would be a memorable evening. She said he wasn’t on the guest list. Cameron, Trina, Josslyn, and Dev sat down in the park after visiting Oscar’s Meadow. Josslyn said it had been a year since Oscar died. She still missed him, and thought she always would, but now she smiled more than cried when she thought of him. Trina said it was progress, and Josslyn apologized for being absent. She didn’t keep connected while she and Dev were on house arrest, but no more hiding with her journal. Trina said the first step was admitting she had a problem, and Josslyn said she’d still write in it, but it wasn’t as necessary. She missed her friends. Martin begged the court’s indulgence. His client was still elated about her happy news. Nelle said her husband was here now, and Julian walked in. Diane said just when she thought he couldn’t sink any lower, and Michael told Willow, Nelle just overplayed her hand.

Nelle apologized, saying she lost track of time. She hadn’t even had the time to change. Judge Lowe told Martin to get his client under control, and tell her not to address the court unless she was addressed directly. He asked for the marriage license, and Julian produced it. The judge said they’d have a brief recess while he checked its validity, and when he returned, they would proceed. No more outbursts. Carly told Willow that Nelle couldn’t have picked a worse candidate; Julian was an ex-mobster, and just tanked Nelle’s case. Sam introduced Brando to Alexis, who told him that she was also Kristina’s mother, and he’d met her other daughter, Molly. He said Molly came into his garage when she’d had a fender bender, and Alexis said she’d heard about it. He said it was nice to meet her, and went back to his workout. Alexis told Sam, no wonder Molly slept with him. He seemed nice, had a sense of humor, and he was cute. Sam said she didn’t see it. Sonny sent champagne over to TJ and Molly’s table, and Jordan said she wanted to thank him personally. She went over to where he was sitting, and said TJ was back safe. Their collaboration was over. He asked what if Mac’s investigation lead to Cyrus? and she said she could handle it on her own. Cyrus told Ava that he was surprised she wasn’t more open, since she’d had struggles herself. She said that was behind her now, and she wasn’t going backward. He was responsible for a good friend losing her father. He said she’d been misinformed. He just came out of prison, where his sentence had been vacated. She said, how convenient, and he said he was focused on building a new life. The penthouse was perfect for him. His phone rang, and he went elsewhere to take the call. Sonny was in the vicinity, and told Ava, what the hell?

Sonny told Ava, just when he thought she had an ounce of humanity, she was doing business with a drug trafficker. She asked why he was so quick to think the worst of her, and he said she never disappointed him. She told him, Trina was her intern, and was devastated by her father’s death. Sonny asked why she was doing business with Cyrus, since he was responsible, and she said Lucy hadn’t told her who the potential buyer was. Dev suggested they all get off their phones, and Josslyn thought they should do something fun after school tomorrow. Cameron said he and Trina had plans; they’d been playing ultimate frisbee. They’d been doing it a while, and he didn’t know how much playing time Josslyn and Dev would get if they joined in. Josslyn asked if they didn’t want her and Dev to go. At the MetroCourt, the venue for TJ and Molly’s ceremony was discussed, and Jordan said she’d like to have some girl talk with Molly. Diane told Michael and Willow, stick to their strategy. Don’t over-exaggerate, be themselves, and don’t engage. She said just when Alexis put Julian in the past, he did something else to inflict pain. Michael wondered what Nelle had on him. Martin asked what Nelle was thinking, showing up late, and married to… him. Julian said he wanted what was best for Wiley, and Nelle said what was best was Wiley living with them. Carly told Michael that someone had called last night, warning her that Nelle knew about his wedding. He asked, who? and she told him, Sasha. Curtis asked how TJ was really doing, and TJ said he was fine, but Curtis said the kidnapping would have freaked out anyone, including him. TJ must have believed he would be killed. TJ admitted he had nightmares, and would wake up panicked and paranoid. Curtis told him to reach out with whatever he needed, and TJ said he needed to pull himself together before he drove Molly away.

Ava said Sonny held himself up like an excellent role model, and wondered what he’d do when Avery found out what his business was. He said his business was as legit as hers. Sonny got a text from Carly, saying Nelle had married Julian, and Ava asked if it was important news. He told her to ask her brother. Molly asked Jordan if she was upset because they weren’t having a conventional wedding, but Jordan said she was mortified about how she’d acted, and owed Molly a major apology. It was never her goal to hurt Molly, and she thought Molly and TJ were perfect together. Sam brought a jump rope over to Alexis, who said she’d decided to use the steam room. Sam said she was staying to work out, and when Alexis was gone, she asked if Brando had a minute. Carly said Sasha was afraid Nelle might interfere with the wedding, and Michael said she might be the Sasha he used to know. He asked Diane how Nelle being married would affect their case, and she said Julian’s shady past would bolster it. Nelle looked like a lunatic, and Julian looked like he was going to this execution. Michael and Willow looked like what they were; a committed couple, devoted to each other and Wiley’s well-being. Judge Lowe returned, and Diane made her  opening argument. She said Wiley’s well-being was at stake, and that was the number one reason sole custody should go to the biological father. She said Michael was the CEO of a multi-million dollar company, but wasn’t an absentee parent. Brad and Lucas had asked him to be Wiley’s godfather, and he’d been in Wiley’s life since day one, as had Willow. At the Quartermaine’s, Wiley would be surrounded by extended family, and feel loved. It was Martin’s turn, and he told Nelle, no matter what, stay calm.

Brando assumed Sam was going to tell him not to talk to her mother, and suggested she give him a list of every relative she had in Port Charles. Sam said she wanted to apologize, and he said he accepted. Should they start over, and be satisfied with a silent nod across the room? She said she’d take that. Molly and Jordan came back to the table, and Curtis asked if Jordan was okay. She said she had a lot going on with work, and TJ asked if it was about Cyrus. She asked what he knew about Cyrus, and he said just what he’d read in the paper. Jordan had figured out Cyrus was framed, and he’d been exonerated. Molly said she admired Jordan’s integrity. Curtis said she’d done what was needed. Cyrus told Ava that he knew she and Sonny shared a daughter. If she needed help putting Sonny in his place, he’d do it. She said she needed nothing from him, and he suggested they talk about the penthouse. She said she’d never sell it to him, and don’t ever mention her daughter again. Trina said Josslyn was competitive, and if she was on the sidelines, she’d have a nervous breakdown. Dev said it was about team building and sportsmanship. Josslyn wondered again if Trina and Cameron didn’t want her there, and Trina told her not to be silly; she’d text Josslyn the details. Josslyn told Dev that they had to head back, and Trina and Cameron said they were going the other way. When they left, Josslyn said she genuinely thought they didn’t want her to go, but Dev thought Trina was being a friend. Cameron had no idea how to act around Josslyn. Josslyn said Cameron had known her his entire life, but Dev said, but now he liked her. Martin told the court, what already happened was a Greek tragedy. Nelle had been in a car accident, and was left in the woods to give birth alone. Nelle fingered the half-heart necklace in her hand, and Martin said she’d passed out, and when she came to, had a dead infant in arms. Brad had switched babies, and Nelle grieved a baby she thought was dead. When incarcerated, she’d also risked her life stopping serial killer Ryan Chamberlain, which got her an early release for heroism. Then came the shock of her life – the baby hadn’t died. Lucas did the right thing, but Michael only thought of himself, and Nelle had to petition the court to see Wiley. Then another miracle happened – his client found love. Nelle flashed back to telling Julian that she knew he’d caused the accident that nearly killed his son. Lucas would never forgive him, but when Sonny found out he’s known who Wiley was, Sonny would kill him. Martin said, it was like Shakespeare; a love story of a brave young woman, just out of prison, starting a new life; and a man recovering his own life. They were kindred souls. Julian remembered telling Nelle that she was so desperate to keep Michael away from their son, she begged Brad to take him. Nelle told him that if he persuaded Sonny to believe Brad, it would prove he knew about it, and Sonny would kill him. Julian asked what if he dealt with her himself, and she said there was a sealed envelope to be opened in the event of her death or disappearance. It would lead the cops straight to his door. Martin said he knew there was concern about Julian being a known mob kingpin, and Nelle recalled Julian telling her there was nothing left to say except, will you marry me? She told him, get a suit, and they’d seal the deal. Martin said they blended their lives together to raise Wiley. Their house might not be as big, but it would be filled with love. Nelle continued to play with the necklace.

Cameron said he missed the four of them being together, and Trina said, it wasn’t so bad, just him being there. He said he’d always have her back, and they pinky swore. Josslyn asked if Dev really thought Cameron was into her, and he said she was the last to know. She said it made no sense. She’d been a mess. Why crush on her when she was at her worst? Dev guessed the fake dating Josslyn and Cameron had done to make Oscar jealous wasn’t so fake on Cameron’s part. Josslyn asked why Cameron never said something, and Dev said, Josslyn was in love with Oscar, then grieving him; the timing was wrong. Josslyn wondered how it wouldn’t be awkward now, but Dev said he was sure Cameron understood that she didn’t feel the same way; that they were just friends. Cyrus asked for a word with Jordan, and Curtis told him, keep moving. Cyrus said since Jordan had revealed everything to Curtis, he could put Curtis’s skill set to use. Curtis told him, don’t push it, but Cyrus said he was just offering Curtis some business. The health of the Police Commissioner and her loved ones remained his top concern.

Judge Lowe gave the court a one-hour meal break. Willow asked Diane if she thought the judge believed Martin, but Diane said it was more important for them to keep up their calm demeanor. Carly suggested they all go to the MetroCourt, and Diane said she’d meet them; she had to make a phone call. Nelle asked how Martin thought it was going, and he said he was pleased. He told Julian that he should come eat with them. Diane called Alexis, and told her Nelle got married. Alexis said she was surprised but not shocked; Nelle wasn’t going down without a fight. She asked who Nelle lured into marriage, and Diane said, Julian. Martin said he wanted to avoid putting Julian on the stand. He wanted to paint Sonny as a threat, but since Julian was also affiliated with organized crime, it was best not to open that line of inquiry. Julian wasn’t interested in going to lunch, and Nelle said he’d agreed to be a loving husband. He said he was beginning to think there were some things worse than death, and Nelle said couples needed time apart. She left, and alone in the courtroom, Julian told himself to get it together. He was about to leave, when Sonny walked in. Sonny said, congratulations on marrying one of the few people he hated more than Julian.

Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles

In Santa Monica, David and James met with Serene and Ray, sellers they’d worked with before, but who decided they weren’t ready give up home. Now they’d been called in again. The house, named Margherita, was in a suburban oasis; quintessential California living at its finest. The  interior had been repainted since they were last there – to the tune of $7K – and it had made a huge difference. In the before pictures, the rooms were dark and brooding, but the afters showed a much brighter, welcoming home. It had six bedrooms and nine baths, and since Serene and Ray only had one child left living at home, they were only using three of the bedrooms. Serene introduced them to a pet lizard they’d gotten for son Connor. It was only supposed to live three to five years, but Connor was now 26, and the lizard was still going strong. She took the lizard out, and only David was game enough to hold it, which I found amusing, since it fit in the palm of a hand. David was still a little weird about it, and in his interview, said he’d had maybe 50 pets growing up, so you wouldn’t think he would be squeamish, but it was a long time ago. The house had a children’s loft that I mentally moved in to, and was on a 21,000 square foot lot, with a private artist’s studio, greenhouse, and pool house. The sellers had found a tear-down in the wall of a canyon, and were psyched that they could build what they wanted. James David asked if there was a chance they’d change their minds again, but Ray said they were all in. David James said they had to come up with a price that made sense for both them and the sellers, since the last time it was high. Serene said they hadn’t really wanted to move, unless someone came up with that price, but they were ready now. In his interview, James said they’d been disappointed. They’d invested $10K in marketing and photography, and couldn’t afford to lose that much again. A price of $17.995 was agreed upon, and David said he knew it was less than they’d expected, but he didn’t want to make them happy now, and unhappy later. The couple needed to trust that the brokers had their best interest at heart, and Serene said they did.

JoshF went to the LadyGang podcast studio, where he was meeting with one of the hosts, Becca Tobin. He said she’d had to twist his arm to be on the podcast, but he was happy to sell her a house. Becca said she needed to get approval from her work wives, Keltie Knight and Jac Vanek; they wanted to see if Josh could hang with gang. They played a game called Flagg or Bag, where they either threw out or kept a trend. In his interview, Josh thought Keltie didn’t like him, which was a recurring theme in his life. He asked what Becca was looking for, and she said she and husband Zach Martin were moving because they needed more space. She liked the L.A. Hills, and wanted privacy, a view, and a pool. She also wanted the new house to have space for the podcast studio. She said she needed the house to have character; modern white boxes weren’t her jam. Mine neither. Her budget was $2-3 million. Josh said he specialized in older homes, and he was officially welcomed to LadyGang.

The Altman brothers checked out a house in Beverly Hills. JoshA said he wanted to make sure the figure the seller was looking for was realistic, since people didn’t understand times had changed. The house was off the beaten path, and Josh said, buyers were looking for prestige, exclusivity, and privacy. Being stuck behind a garbage truck in your Bentley wasn’t so prestigious. The owner’s representative, Rick, met them, and showed them around the 12,530 square foot house. It had floor to ceiling windows, pocket doors, a private theater, a humongous kitchen island, a butler’s kitchen, an infinity pool, and a gym that had never been used. Matt said his had never been used either, and Josh demonstrated his prowess, nearly hurting himself. Rick showed them the 180 degree unobstructed views, and said the asking price was $26.995 million. Josh said it needed to be priced better than other houses people were seeing, and thought $21.995  was more realistic. Rick said he appreciated Josh’s honesty, and agreed to the price. In Josh’s interview, he said the seller had spent over a million on the sound system, and didn’t even live there.

At the Margherita house, agent Jane demonstrated a cornhole game. David and James wanted people spend time outside at the open house. James David thought lawn games would take up space, and demonstrate the expanse. They wanted to bring an East Coast barbecue vibe to Santa Monica. Whatever that is. I live on the East Coast, and I’ve never heard of a barbecue vibe. David James suggested a cotton candy machine, and in his interview, said they wanted to showcase the backyard, so that it would be the first thing an agent mentioned to their client.

JoshF took Becca and Zach to see a home in Outpost Estates, where the homes had been built in the 1920s and showcased Spanish architecture. On the way there, the topic of Broadway was brought up, and Josh graced them with his rendition of Yankee Doodle Dandy. (Hint: He’s no James Cagney.) Becca appreciated the older homes, and Josh said if he saw one more modern white box, he was going to throw up. He told them that the houses there were large, but unassuming from the front, and it was a close community, but not gated. For this one, he was representing both sides, so it would be a double-dip. The seller was asking $2 million for 3500 square feet, three bedrooms and four baths. It had 20 foot ceilings, amazing ironwork, exposed ceiling beams, unobstructed views, and wasn’t on the market yet. He told them there wasn’t a ton of land, but it was like a villa, with terraces everywhere. He showed them the master bedroom downstairs, where the magic happens, but Becca said there was no magic; they were married. The bedrooms and baths were all en suite, and one bathroom had a telephone in it – next to the toilet, where I always love to have conversations. He said it had old world charm, but needed an update. At the price, they could do the changes, and in the meantime, be living in a great neighborhood at a great price. Becca loved the old fixtures, which she found charming. Josh said he had an idea, and took her to a separate room which he said had podcast studio potential. It was entirely red – the walls, the floor, the ceiling, and the furniture – and Becca said it felt like murder, and was a hard no for a studio. Josh said maybe a body was buried there, and Becca said, I can’t. Zach wasn’t keen on spending $2 million when it still needed work, but Becca loved the privacy, and how it was close to everything, yet far away. Still, she wanted to check out something more expensive that didn’t need work.

Josh showed Becca a house that had a Mediterranean vibe. In his interview, he said the people who lived in the area were mostly writers and directors of reality TV, and a producer told him, f*** off. He said, sorry, but I wasn’t quite sure what that was about. The house had been built in 1920, had authentic 15 foot ceilings, and was one of the first houses built there, with both views of the city and a view of the Hollywood Hills. The most impressive thing IMO was the 235 square foot closet, which was about as big as my first apartment. It had three bedrooms, and the price was $2.304 million. I missed how many bathrooms, but another notable feature was a king’s bathroom, designed in Tudor style. The house on my corner has a bathroom like that, which I love, but I never knew there was a name for it. The backyard was nearly 5000 square feet, and included a guest house. Becca said it had a lot of character, but the bedrooms were small, and she didn’t love that it was on the street and too close to the neighbors. Josh said maybe the next one would be the house.

David and James set up their barbecue at the Margherita house, to the tune of $7K, inviting agents who had clients with families, looking for something on the West Side. James got his cotton candy machine, and there were all kinds of lawn games, like a giant Jenga. They wanted buyers to picture their kids there. One broker brought an intuitive astrologer to preview it for her celebrity client by checking out the energy. Astrologer Victoria said the house felt stable, and suddenly went to the window, pendulum swinging, saying she felt something. She claimed she could feel a woman who had waited for someone during WWII, and said the energy was good. In his interview, James David said, whatever it took to get the offer, he was down with it. Nothing else on the market could compete.

JoshF took Becca and Zach to a house in reminiscent of old Hollywood, off the strip, that was amazingly colorful. He said it had been built in 1926, and had vintage charm. It was 3000 square feet, and included a movie theater. The seller’s broker passed out bags of Cracker Jack, and Josh said the room had podcast potential. Becca wanted to move on to the rest of the house, but Josh insisted on digging for his prize. She told him that his prize was the commission on the house. There were three bedrooms, a private guest suite, a pool, and spa. Josh said it was fun and quirky, but at $2.749 million, they could get more bang for their buck with the Outpost Estates house. Becca thought that was the one, and Josh suggested they make an offer of $1.8, which wasn’t offensive. Becca said it was a yes.

JoshA got the bad news from Rick that an offer of $15 million had been made on the Beverly Hills house, and the owners wanted to take it because they wanted to be done. Josh said it was $7 million under the asking price, and the potential buyer had seen it before it was listed. Not only would they be stealing the house, he’d get no commission. He told Rick, it was highway robbery, and Rick said he had 24 hours to get a better offer. Josh said he’d show the house all day.

Wearing a kimono, JoshF met Becca and Zach at the Outpost Estates house, giving them the key and a bottle of Dom Perignon. They’d gotten the seller down to $1.87 million, Josh telling Becca if the house went to the open market, they’d have competition. Becca had told him, let’s do it, and he said now it was time to celebrate. He told her that he wanted to explain the kimono, and Zach said he was nervous. Josh said he should be, and led them to the murder room, where Keltie and Jac waited with bundles of smoking sage. Josh said they were cleansing the room of evil, so Becca would feel comfortable in her new home, but she joked that it made her more scared. They christened the room, and shooed the porn screen murder out the door. Becca said they’d turned a nightmare room into a dream, and they popped the champagne.

Next time, the biggest bathroom I’ve ever seen, the owners of the Margherita house sound like they’re backing out again, and Josh tries to sell a house in one day.

General Hospital

Today’s final answer for the GH Flashback was May 4th, 2010.

Michael was on the stand, and Judge Carroll asked if he’d killed his stepmother. Michael said nothing, and the judge asked if he was incapable of answering or refusing to answer. He told Michael that he understood Michael was coerced to cover it up, but he was in court now, and it was a direct question; not answering wasn’t an option. Did he kill her? Michael said he did; on November 4th, he killed his stepmother Claudia. The judge asked Michael to explain in his own words how it happened, and Michael said Claudia had lost it. Sonny had confronted Claudia, who then kidnapped Carly. Michael had convinced himself that everyone would be better off if he wasn’t around, and was going to drive to Canada, but when he saw a wrecked car, he checked it out. It had a valet ticket from the MetroCourt, and he realized it was the car Claudia had used to take his mom. He followed their trail through the woods to the cabin, and when he got closer, could hear his mom screaming, and begging Claudia not to take her baby, Josslyn. Michael grabbed an ax handle off the porch, ran in, and saw Claudia trying leave with Josslyn in a basket. He hit her, and she fell and died. Judge Carroll asked what Michael was thinking, and Michael said he needed to stop her. He realized she was dead right away, and had gotten blood on himself, and later, on his dad’s shirt. The judge asked at what point Sonny arrived, but Michael said Sonny was never there. Jason and Sam took Carly to the hospital, and they were going to wait for Sonny there. Judge Carroll asked if anyone at any time suggested calling the police, and Michael said no. His dad came and drove him home. The judge commended Michael on his cooperation, and his clear, concise testimony. He asked if Michael was trying to kill Claudia when he hit her, but Michael said he didn’t care what happened to her. He just wanted to protect his mom and baby sister. The judge said Michael had confessed to taking Claudia’s life, was in full possession of his faculties, and truthful. He commended Dante on his diligence and commitment to the law, unlike other parties in the case, and remanded Michael to await sentencing. He asked Dante to formally place Michael under arrest, so for once in this case, they would follow the letter of the law. Dante read Michael his rights, and the charges against Sonny were withdrawn, the judge saying he was free – for the time being. Judge Carroll reamed out Diane, and anyone else who wasted the people’s time, money, and patience by conspiring to cover-up this crime. He said the country was founded on the rule of law, and they’d spit on that principal. If it was up to him, he’d send them all to prison for the next twenty years. They disgusted him. Diane said this was a first. She went from defense counsel to defendant in one fell swoop.

Olivia told Lulu that Dante had found his conscience, and she should be proud. Lulu said they had to support him, and Olivia wished everyone felt the same way. Jax asked the prosecutor what the worst case scenario was, and she said she couldn’t predict what Judge Carroll would do, but thought the rest of them were in more trouble than Michael. Jax said he was trying to figure out how he could help, but she said it was in the judge’s hands. There wasn’t enough evidence to back up Michael’s justification; Carly had lied so many times, the judge probably wouldn’t believe her. On a positive note, Michael’s records showed brain damage. She imagined he’d get a suspended sentence and mandatory counseling. Carly wouldn’t be so fortunate. Sonny told Carly that their son was stronger than she thought, and would be okay. Carly said she just saw her son being handcuffed by Sonny’s bastard. Dante said he was taking Michael to be booked, and Michael asked why Dante had turned him in. Dante said the short version was, the truth had to come out, and Michael said, so he was just doing his job. Dante said he was doing it for Michael. Michael’s whole life, Sonny taught him that he could do whatever he wanted, and get away with it. That people died in the process was unacceptable, and Michael didn’t have to live with that hanging over his head. Michael asked what if the judge didn’t buy that it was an accident and he ended up in prison, but Dante pointed out he had brain damage, and thought it would be a suspended sentence and mandatory therapy. He’d have the chance to build a better life.

Sonny told Carly that he’d read Dante wrong. He thought Dante wanted him in prison more than he did Michael. Carly didn’t care, saying Sonny had a chance and trusted Dante. Now she and Jason would focus on Michael. Sonny said Dante never planned on Michael going to lockup, but she said Dante performed the arrest, and got a pat on the back for it. It had turned out the way he’d wanted, and now Sonny could bond with Dante, and the hell with Michael. Carly told Lulu that Dante had betrayed Michael, and when Lulu got horizontal with him, make sure she thought of Carly’s son, since she was standing by her man. Tracy asked why Carly was blaming Lulu. Carly had stolen Michael from the Quartermaines, and had no one to blame but herself for all this misery. Lulu didn’t need to fight Dante’s battles; she was just stating the facts. Carly said her priorities were twisted, and that’s why Michael was in lockup. Tracy said a lifetime of damage came with the territory when Michael’s father was a mob kingpin. Carly had chosen to marry Sonny, and chosen for him to adopt Michael. Did she think he’d grow up to be a choirboy? Tracy told Carly that she had no use for Dante – he was just as manipulative as his father – but Lulu chose to be loyal to the man she loved, like Carly was loyal to Sonny, and she had no right to criticize. Carly wondered, if Dante had busted Luke, would Tracy be as quick to defend Lulu. The jury, with Alice as foreperson (!), continued to hang around, griping that they’d wasted their time. Judge Carroll said the case had been dismissed, and thanked them, saying they were dismissed as well. Diane congratulated Sonny on being a free man.

Spinelli told Jason, the Jackal was ready to assist, and Jason asked him to hack into the PCPD’s system, find out who was on the payroll, and make sure someone was on duty all the time, and Michael was treated well and protected. Spinelli found it hard believe Dante turned Michael in, and Jason said Sonny wanted to believe in Dante that he’d do the right thing, but he was blind. Now Sonny knew what Dante was capable of doing, but Michael was paying the price. Olivia told Sonny to swear he wasn’t going after her kid, and Sonny said she’d raised Dante to hate him. She said Dante being a cop was his own choice, and he was doing his job. Sonny said Dante was sticking it to him, but Olivia said Dante was upholding the law he believed in; honor, justice, right and wrong. Sonny said it wasn’t about the law; Dante was spitting in his face. Olivia kept showing Dante that Sonny wasn’t a good father, but she’d never given him a chance to know Sonny.

At the station, Carly told Dante that she wanted to see Michael. He said he couldn’t imagine what his mother would be going through, if he was in the same position. Carly said he had no idea what she was feeling. He wasn’t a parent; he was a liar and vindictive. He said he did what he thought was best for Michael before he followed in Sonny’s footsteps. The cover-up would have given him the seal of approval. Carly said Sonny would never allow Michael to be in the mob, but Date if Michael had kept the secret, he would have traded education and opportunities for a life of crime, and end up dead. Carly said Michael could die in prison, but Dante said he wouldn’t have prison time. Olivia told Sonny that he was willfully blind to the way his life effected his kids. He said there was nothing he wouldn’t do for his kids, and she said the damage was already done. Look how Michael was raised, and what he’d seen; the lying, the violence, a bullet in the head. She knew Sonny’s intentions were good, but he was toxic to his children. Sonny said he’d made mistakes, but he’d done the best he could with his children. Olivia said he couldn’t keep them from the violence in the world, and Sonny agreed that he couldn’t guarantee their safety. Olivia said he could do one thing; keep Dante safe and call Jason off. He had a chance to turn things around for all his children. Which is funny, since Maurice Benard started off on All My Children. Carly hugged Michael, and told Dante he could go; she didn’t have a file or anything. He left, and she asked Michael if he was in a cell by himself. She didn’t agree with what he’d done, but agreed with why he did it, and they’d get through this. He shouldn’t be there, and they’d get him out.

Spinelli said he unobtrusively checked out the roster, and someone was on duty now to keep a sharp eye on Michael. Jason told Spinelli that Bernie was in Puerto Rico, and he wanted Spinelli to join him; to help move the money so there would be no red flags. Spinelli asked if it wasn’t more pressing to be in Port Charles, but Sam said Jason couldn’t trust just anyone. Spinelli thought Jason wanted him out of town for an unspecified amount time, so he’d have deniability. He took it that Jason was about to embark on the disposing of Dante. Carly told Michael that the judge believed Michael was protecting her and his sister, and she thought he’d get a suspended sentence. He said Dante told him the same thing, but she told him not to trust Dante. If he wants to talk, or says he wants to help, don’t believe him. She said Michael would be out by Friday, and his life would be back to normal. Michael said he hated going back to a life where everyone knew he killed Claudia, and Carly said he was  a hero. The guard came, and Michael asked Carly to tell his siblings that he loved them and he was all right. Jason said he needed to have things ready, and Spinelli said that was an indirect answer. Jason said Michael wanted to tell the truth, and Jason said to trust him, so Michael didn’t do it. It was on him, and no one else. Spinelli said Jason would face life for murder, and he was tied to Sonny. Michael would never forgive the impact on his new sibling, Morgan, and Kristina. Michael would blame himself, and violence in the wake of violence just perpetuated the tragic cycle. He told Jason not to kill Dante, and if the plan was in motion, stop it before it was too late. Johnny told Olivia that Sonny was a free man, but Olivia said, not really. He’d been tied in knots since the beginning, and since Dante blew the whistle, Sonny had been ripping himself apart. Johnny said in a couple of weeks, it would be business as usual. They wondered if Sonny was going to go after Dante, and Johnny said he’d go after Sonny if that happened. Dante found Lulu waiting at home for him, and they hugged.

Sonny visited Michael in his cell, and Michael told Sonny not to avenge him. Someone had to stop the violence, and he still had that chance. Johnny told Olivia that he was a fool to think he’d get justice from the system; he’d have to make his own. Sonny was vulnerable and distracted, and there was no better time to crush him like he deserved. Back home, Carly told little Morgan that Michael told the truth, the judge believed him, and she thought the judge understood. Because Michael had been sent out of the country so he couldn’t testify, the judge considered him a flight risk, but he’ll only be in jail until Friday when the judge decides his punishment. Morgan asked if she’d seen Michael, and she said he was okay. He told her to tell Morgan that he loved him and would be home soon. Morgan said he could tell Carly was scared, and Carly said she was okay; she just wanted it over. Morgan cried, and said Dante promised it would be. Lulu asked Dante how it went, and Dante said he walked Michael through the process. Michael held it together, but she thought he was scared underneath. Dante said, it’s not how he wanted it to go, and Lulu said, he told the truth, and it was the best thing for Michael. Dante agreed, and said Michael would spend a couple of days in lockup; it’s better than life in the mob. He thanked her for having faith in him, and apologized for leaving her with Carly. Lulu said she couldn’t fault Carly for feeling the way she did, but it was hard to listen to her say how he betrayed the family. She went from raging to insulting, and wouldn’t listen. She didn’t know how Carly could be so intolerant. They were like sisters, and suddenly Carly can’t trust her. Dante said Carly can’t trust him, and Lulu was getting the fallout. Lulu said she loved Dante, and he did what was right. She asked if the judge would go easy on Michael, and he said the judge saw Michael had remorse. He’d probably get probation and be free in a few days.

Michael apologized to Sonny, but Sonny said he was sorry. He never thought Michael’s brother would turn him in. Michael was just protecting his family, and Sonny never wanted him to pay. Michael said he didn’t want Sonny to pay. He knew Sonny wanted him to let it play out, but he felt like he was being a coward. Sonny said he had respect for Michael, and Michael said he was honored. Sonny went through a trial, and was willing to go to prison to save Michael, but he was the one who did it. Sonny said he didn’t like Michael in there, even for a day; he hated it. Michael said he would make Sonny proud, and he’d he okay. Jason listened in.

Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles

We flashed back to last week, when JoshF showed buyer Heather (who looks a lot like Brooke Elliot from Drop Dead Diva) some houses. She was in a time crunch, had a tight budget (tight in L.A. meaning $5 million), and was being particular. This time, she brought her son Simon along. In his interview, Josh said it was hard finding a home that met her criteria. I’m wasn’t sure what she wanted either. He took Heather to Little Holmby Hills, telling us that Holmby Hills is known for the Spelling house and Playboy mansion, but Little Holmby was more affordable. Heather liked the school proximity, and they met with broker Sam. Built in 1936, the house was 5000 square feet, with 5 bedrooms and 5 baths, and priced at $4.995 million. It wasn’t staged – i.e. it was empty – which Josh said made it more difficult to sell, since the buyer can’t imagine themselves living there. Apparently, people don’t have much imagination. The backyard was tri-level, with a pool and a guest house that was nicer than my house. Josh said it checked all the boxes. Heather fretted that she’d sold her house already, and Josh told her to think it over for 24 hours.

Tracy drove through Malibu, talking about the fires and evacuation. (Side note: Denise Richards and Camille Grammer Young from RHOBH had to evacuate. Denise was able to go back home, but eventually moved, and Camille lost everything.) Tracy said it was clean again, and people were building. No one was leaving, and there had been a massive recovery. Developer/owner Scott Gillen wasn’t content with his current representation, and had asked for her. He also had an entire portfolio of properties, and she was looking to the future. Scott’s advisor Robert met Tracy, explaining that she couldn’t use the driveway, since Scott wanted to keep it pristine. Red flag of difficulty number one. The house was expansive, but not for me; it was very boxy. I say this like I could afford even a foot of it. Scott made Tracy take off her shoes before she came inside, another red flag. He told her it had been purchased for $9.5 million in 2011, and he wanted $75 million for it. When Tracy asked to put her purse down, Scott thought for quite a while before telling her to put it on the carpet. Flags were now flying wildly, and I’m not talking about Josh. In her interview, Tracy said her purse possibly cost more than the carpet. He gave Tracy a tour of the house; 14,800 square feet, a Bulthaup kitchen (the most high-end you can get) with Gaggenau appliances, a cigar room, a wine tasting room, closets you wouldn’t believe, an ocean view, and a canyon view. Outside, there was a guest house as big as my house. Scott said it was all about quality, as he showed Tracy the walnut tub he’d had custom made. Scott said she had to understand the house. He told Robert that she was nervous, but she assured him that she wasn’t. In her interview, she said he was testing her, but she wasn’t intimidated; she spoke his language. He told her, with his properties, the agents just opened the door; he did the showing, and he’d already sold 21 homes. In Tracy’s interview, she said, no buyer wants to feel watched. She’d have to figure out a way he could be part of it without doing the actual showing. He took her to New Castle’s sister house, The Case, and said it was 24 acres in the center Malibu, and in her interview, Tracy said there were no neighbors, and never would be. He told her it had been $85 million, but he’d had to lower it to $75 million. He said the view and the privacy were epic, but he thought the problem was when a broker showed one house, they would say there was another one, confusing the buyer. She asked if the chosen one would get the entire portfolio, and he said it was all or nothing. Tracy figured on $500 million, she’d be getting $10 million in commission. She told him there was no one better than her at finding a buyer, but he wanted to know how she was going to attack, not who she was going to pitch it to. He gave her five days for getting together a marketing proposal, but she said she’d need a full week. He said if she failed, she’d get fired, and she told him, she didn’t fail.

JoshA told us, the Altman Brothers were doing a million a week in business, had ten agents, and five employees. They needed their own space. It was a risk, but if you’re going to grow as a brand, you have to take a leap. We saw the space, still under construction, and the marble walls in the reception area alone were $75K. Josh said the offices had felt walls, so when the agents banged their heads against them, it didn’t hurt as much. We saw clips of them looking at properties. Josh said they settled on something in Beverly Hills, near the luxury shopping district, not far from Chanel and The Ivy. Josh told brother Matt that Fredrik (Million Dollar Listing New York) was moving to LA. In Josh’s interview, he said, under different circumstances, he would love it that Fredrik was moving there. He and Heather were tight with Fredrik and Derik, and took them to look at vacation homes last year. The next he heard from Fredrik was on an email blast that he was moving there to open a business. He told Matt that Fredrik had invited Josh and Heather to an open house he was having, but only Heather was going.

While Heather was interested in the Holmby house, JoshF said he couldn’t push the seller too hard, or they could lose the house to the open market. He made an offer of $4.750 million, cash, closing in one week. He said the buyer was qualified, so it would be a quick loan with no bullsh*t.

Tracy told her team that they needed to come up with creative ways to convince Scott that he needed to hire her because she could find his buyer. Rob suggested a yacht party near The Case; very exclusive and VIP. Another team member thought of customized swag, like slippers and a robe. One more thought of a custom tasting experience, and the last idea was a promotional film that could be put inside a book the buyer could take home. Tracy loved all of it, and said they could send a questionnaire to both brokers and potential buyers that would give them a backdoor entrance to see who qualified, and also make sure they had the best experience possible. They would use all of the ideas, and make each showing personalized. They needed to tell an entire story. She wanted Scott to experience what they were talking about, and how they wanted the client to experience it. In her interview, she said the best way to show a buyer a house was to show them how to live in it. She wanted to show Scott the house as though he was a buyer. It had to be perfectly curated, and she needed to find out what she could about Scott so that the tour would impress him, and she meant CIA level research. If Rob had to dig in Scott’s trash to see what he had for dinner, so be it. She told the team there were no second chances, and to think of the amount of the commission check. It would keep them up and motivated. She wouldn’t be sleeping all week.

Heather told JoshA that she hadn’t slept because she was upset about Fredrik’s open house. The second she got there, Fredrik came for her. We flash back (we saw this from Fredrik’s end last season) to Heather telling him that she and Josh found out he was opening a business in L.A. from a company email blast. Fredrik insisted that he’d told them, and Heather told Josh that he’d asked if they were afraid of the competition. She’d lost all respect for him. Josh was annoyed that Fredrick didn’t come to him, and said he’d put Fredrik in his place. In Josh’s interview, he said, on a friend level, it’s beyond. He told Heather that he didn’t care about Fredrik opening a business there, it was how he approached it. All the fake sh*t. He said he wasn’t cool with what went down, and was going to deal with Fredrik.

JoshF met Heather at the park, where Simon was playing soccer. She asked if Josh was ever a child, and he said, never. He told her that the offer was rejected, and the seller countered with $4.825 million. He thought they should accept it, and it was worth what they were asking. She said she loved the neighborhood, and her kids had friends there, but she didn’t want to spend that much. She asked if he believed it was the best deal, and he said, 100%. She asked Simon if he liked the house, and Simon replied in the affirmative, saying it was big and you could play everywhere. Heather said, let’s do it, and she and Josh headed to Gucci to celebrate. He said he’d get her a keychain.

In Tracy’s interview, she said she worked crazy hours, preparing her listing pitch. We saw her Instagram story where she said she was stressed out, hadn’t slept in a week, and it clearly showed. In her interview, she said she was exhausted. She could barely keep her head screwed on straight. At New Castle, she met with party planner Nicole. Scott had been reluctant to let her team in without him being there (I’ll bet), but as long as they didn’t touch any surfaces, it would be fine. She told them she wanted them to be in position when Scott got there, like they’d been there all day. She knew he loved sushi, was obsessed with a smoothie called Mango Madness, and loved a good cigar, which she was having hand rolled. She said, none of it was easy or cheap, but she was looking at a $500 million portfolio. If she dropped $10K to get it, so be it (which seems to be her catch phrase). Call it a marketing expense. When Scott arrived, she told him that he was going to play buyer, and she was giving him a tour. Before they went inside, she gave him a pair of slippers, and explained they were going to do personalized showings. She asked who he’d like to be, and he said, call him Joe. She lead him to the cigar room, where a team member met him with the hand rolled cigars. In the master bath, Tracy presented Joe/Scott with a robe, and he said it was pretty great. In Tracy’s interview, she wondered if that was a compliment. Outside, he was given a Mango Madness smoothie, and a personalized cap. He took a sip, and said he might sign her up just for the smoothie. In her interview, Tracy said she wanted him to recognize that it won’t be at the same level, but every buyer would have this experience. They sat down for some sushi, and Scott said, awesome, but how could she find people who can afford it? Now he was suddenly interested in that. She asked a team member to bring the key to The Castle. She gave him a key, and said this was part of the digital marketing plan. He would create a film where he talked about the individual properties, and the properties as a whole. A sushi chef prepared dishes for them, and Tracy said she’d host an event for agents from around the world and high net worth buyers, and give them the presentation. They were intrigued by Malibu, but didn’t get that it’s about connecting with people. She showed him a mock-up of the book, saying it would be a showcase for the film, and it could go home with the buyer. That was her pitch. He said, that’s it? and told her that he had some ideas. He was going to give Robert a call, then let her know. She said she’d take five, and he told her to take ten. As she walked away, she said she wasn’t leaving without the listing. In her interview, she said it was worth it. With the help of her team, she had executed the perfect listing pitch. If he didn’t choose her, screw him. On the phone, Scott told Robert that Tracy had all the right ideas, and understood their vision. He gave her the portfolio, and she smoked a cigar, then coughed, while he took a picture with his phone. In her interview, she said she was never sleeping again.

Fredrik stopped by JoshA’s office. After talking about the weather for a millisecond, Fredrik stammered a little, then said Heather had come to his open house party. She was upset, and he’d tried to say his piece and discuss it, but she stormed out. Josh said he’d heard differently. Heather was upset and stormed out, but the reality was, she came to support Fredrik, and Fredrik went aggressively at his wife, who’s eight months pregnant, with issues that were between them. Fredrik said he took accountability for things he should have done differently, but he had the right to expand, and didn’t need an okay from them. Josh said he didn’t care where Fredrik did business, but it was the way he’d approached Heather. They were family. Fredrik said things had changed because he was moving to L.A., but Josh said that wasn’t the point. He’d shown Fredrik and Derik houses because they said they wanted a family vacation place. The next thing he heard, in a company email blast, is that Fredrik is opening a branch in L.A. It’s shady. In his interview, Josh said, clearly, Fredrik didn’t want anyone to know he was moving to L.A. He asked Fredrik, how about calling him, and asking him to show them houses because he’s opening a business in L.A.? Fredrik said he was their friend, but he couldn’t update everybody personally. Josh told him, be real, and in his interview, he said it hurt his feelings that Fredrik didn’t call, but he got pissed when Fredrik went around telling people he was intimidated; that’s bullsh*t. He told Fredrik that he approached this in a sh*tty way, and he knows it. He’d said that Josh was intimidated. Fredrik said that’s how it looked to him, like Josh felt territorial or threatened. He didn’t think he was being shady. Josh said Fredrik didn’t make it to the top by being stupid. Fredrik said he did it by hard work, and Josh said he’d gotten an email saying Fredrik had done $700 million in business in L.A. He’d closed seven listings in L.A. through Josh, but he didn’t exist there. Fredrik whined that he made more money than Josh, and Josh said if he thought it was about money, how shallow he was. Fredrik got all animated, and stood up, saying he’d protected Josh because he was Josh’s friend. People had been saying things about Josh, and he was Josh’s friend. Josh told him, just sit down. He was asking for Fredrik to be real, because they were family, not competition. Fredrik was the new guy, and needed to stop fronting. There was no reason to do it. In Josh’s interview, he said he was known for telling people what he thought, in business and in life, but it was harder, because Fredrik is a friend; he expects more from friends. Just be honest. Fredrik said he understood, and should have included them every step of the way. He didn’t like fighting. At this point, he got choked up, and said he was upset with himself. Derik told him, don’t cry, but he always does. Josh said Fredrik was good people, and suggested they move past it. It was the most real Fredrik had been in a long time. Fredrik said he was coming from a good place, but it was his fault how they were seeing it, and he was sorry. They were in the same office and company, and lived in the same town. They also had kids, and it would be foolish to throw the friendship away over something like this. Josh thought they could build from where it was, and even make it better; they could do deals together. Fredrik apologized for being emotional, and asked if he could have a hug. He and Josh bro hugged, slapping each other loudly. Fredrik put on an Altman Brothers hat to hide his tears. In Fredrik’s interview, he said he had a lot of love for Josh and Heather, and didn’t want to upset them. He valued them as friends, and should have done it differently – as a friend. In Josh’s interview, he said he’d gotten a glimmer of hope. They’d gotten through this, but it was how Fredrik acted moving forward; what he’s going to do to repair the friendship. He was hopeful, and wanted to leave it at that. He asked for a tissue, since he had Fredrik’s tears on his suit.

Next time, David and James have difficult clients with a time crunch; there’s an offer on the Razor House; JoshA tells JoshF that their buyer is well-know, but the caveat is that he represents the buyer; Scott interferes in Tracy’s brokers open, saying it’s unacceptable that someone dared to touch something.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Rounding out the week, is a little gem from February 26th, 2016. Please God, let them start filming new episodes soon. Or at least show me what I want to see – the Scorpios in the 90s, and Faison as PK Sinclair. So what if I was the only one who loved Casey the alien?

Nathan was in the hospital, with Maxie, Obrecht, and Nina at his bedside. He told them that he had to get back to work. At the station, Paul gave an interview to a reporter, saying he had broken up an extensive crime ring. He’d gotten an arms shipment off the street, and he criminals responsible had been rounded up. Port Charles was now a safer place. Jordan mumbled, too bad about the bloodshed. Andre told Sonny and Carly that he’d admitted Morgan for a psychiatric evaluation; it was better than the alternative, which was Morgan being arrested. His behavior wasn’t rational. Carly said she didn’t understand. Morgan wasn’t a danger to himself or others. Apparently, she was wrong, since Morgan was on the roof, and about to jump. Ava asked Griff if he’d saved her daughter, and Kiki appeared on the roof with Morgan in a hospital gown.

Obrecht, Nina, and Maxie all insisted that Nathan stay at the hospital. When Obrecht and Nina left, he told Maxie, at least they weren’t at each other’s throats. Maxie asked if that had been his master plan; act like he was leaving, so his mother and sister would team up. Paul told the reporter, no more questions, and Jordan told him that he was feeding the press a bunch of bull so he’d look like hero and save his butt. Paul told her to put aside her ego, but she said he came to her city to make a bust without notifying the local authorities. He said his superiors at the Federal Justice Department didn’t trust the PCPD, which both Jordan and Anna resented. Paul said Dante’s father was a mob boss, but Jordan said Dante was an excellent officer. Paul thought she was having a hard time because she hadn’t been in the loop with a Federal investigation. Jordan told him that it was a power play on his part, and he’d been reckless. One of her detectives was in the hospital, and an innocent woman was fighting for her life. She suggested that if he wanted to be a hero, finish the job. The shipment had been labeled to go to Ava’s gallery, and she wondered why Ava was free. Anna seconded that. Morgan told Kiki that he’d thought she was in surgery, and hugged her. They both stood on the ledge of the roof, and he said he was worried he’d messed up and couldn’t make it right. He was sorry he’d hurt her again. She started bleeding, and told him it hurt. He held her, and came away with a bullet in his hand. She asked if he’d done that to her. Griff told Ava that Kiki was in recovery, and going to ICU. He’d removed the bullet, and there was no further damage to her spinal cord, but her she might have limited mobility in the future. Carly told Sonny that Morgan was out of control, and had been off of his meds. They should have committed him, rather than letting him figure it out on his own. When someone was in the throes of a manic episode, it was impossible for them to make their own decisions. They let Morgan handle things, and Kiki had gotten shot. Andre said the main thing was Morgan being willing to get help. He had a chronic disorder, but it could be managed. They’d learn from their mistakes. They’d given him too much autonomy. Andre said he’d adjust Morgan’s medication, and could give him mandatory blood tests to prove he was taking them. He also needed more therapy. Carly asked, what if Morgan refused? and Andre said they’d tell him, if he wouldn’t play by the rules, he needed to understand he’d wind up in jail. Sonny said he had no problem with Morgan being treated, but had a problem with threatening him with prison. Andre said it was all they had.

Kiki asked Morgan how it happened, and he said she wasn’t supposed to be there. She said he’d left her a voicemail saying he needed help; that he was sick. Morgan said no one could help him. Kiki had said she never wanted to see him again after catching him with Darby. Kiki said the only way was to end it, and they’d do it together. She took his hand. Paul told Jordan that he’d deal with Ava in his own time, and in his own way. Jordan asked, why wait? and Paul said Jordan was feeling left out. She said he’d blown open the case on her doorstep, and she had every right to be involved. Anna said Jordan had a valid point. Why had he let Ava go? Jordan said she was getting a judge to sign off on a warrant for Ava’s arrest. She had the feeling there was more to the story than he was letting her know. She thought Ava would spill her guts because she’d be afraid of going to Pentenville. Paul said the case was bigger than the local PCPD could handle, and Jordan couldn’t arrest Ava. Jordan said, watch her. Griff told Ava it was too soon to give a long-term prognosis. Kiki was young, healthy, and strong, and getting care from excellent professionals. She had a lot of people who cared for her. He told Ava to have faith in Kiki, and she would reward it. Nina told Obrecht that she hired a private security bodyguard for Nathan. Obrecht saw Franco hugging Ava, and said Franco was the one who needed Nina’s attention. When Andre was gone, Sonny told Carly that they all had to be on the same page; united to help Morgan. Carly said she was terrified for Morgan. He wasn’t able to handle his anger, and now someone they care about was fighting for their life because of guns. Sonny said they weren’t his, and Carly said she’d always accepted his business, and that violence was a part of it. She’d looked at it like it was normal, when it was anything but. She had Kiki’s blood on her hands, and could wash it off, but it wouldn’t change a damn thing. Andre chastised a nurse for letting Morgan slip away, then overheard Obrecht say she wanted a full accounting of her patients. An orderly had spotted someone on the roof. Andre hurried to get there. Kiki told Morgan that he didn’t have to be afraid. He wouldn’t feel bad anymore. It would end all his pain – and hers. They’d be together. He said he wanted that, and took her hand. She asked if he was ready, and put her foot out in the air. Morgan said he was ready. Michael came onto the roof, and asked Morgan, ready for what? Maxie told Nathan she hoped he hadn’t soured on weddings; they had one more to go. He asked what he missed, and if Franco had proposed to Nina. Maxie said not that she knew of, and he said, so who? and Maxie asked him to marry her.

Franco told Ava that doctors always give the worst case scenario, so expectations were lower. Then when a patient fully recovered, it would seem even better. Nina joined them, and gave Ava the jewelry Kiki had been wearing. Since Kiki had said it was a gift from Ava, Nina thought she’d want it for safekeeping. Ava saw Paul, flew across the room, and pushed him, saying she was going to kill him. In the locker room, Carly washed her hands while flashing back to what happened; kneeling next to Kiki, bleeding on the pier, and Carly telling her it would be okay. She scrubbed relentlessly at her hands. Michael said they’d been looking for Morgan, and asked what he was doing on the ledge. Kiki said, don’t tell him, and Morgan said he needed time alone. Michael said Morgan was talking to someone, and Morgan said Kiki was there. Michael told him that she wasn’t; she was downstairs having surgery. Morgan suddenly realized there was no Kiki there, and Michael said the procedure would be over soon. They’d wait together, and Morgan could see her afterward. Morgan said he liked it there; it was peaceful. Michael said he’d wait there too, but Morgan said he wanted to be alone. He spread out his arms, and Michael asked what he was doing. Morgan said, something he should have done long ago. He wanted to save everyone grief. He was going to kill himself.

Griff found Carly, scrubbing her hands raw, and turned the water off. He asked if she was all right, and she said, no. Andre came out on the roof, and asked Morgan why he wanted to die. Morgan said every day it got worse, and he wanted to stop hurting people. Andre asked him, be more specific. If he committed suicide, people would want to know why; his mother and father, and his sisters and brothers. He’d never said that before. Why now? Morgan said the pills were supposed to fix things, but hadn’t. Andre said it was more complicated than that, and Morgan said he and Kiki had been on a date. Kiki wanted to have sex, but he couldn’t, so he went off the pills to prove he was a man and had a purpose. He did stupid things; he’d had sex with Darby and lost his job. When Kiki found out, he fell down a hole. He heard guns were going through Sonny’s territory, and thought he could help his dad, prove he was a man, and get out of the hole, but he screwed everything up. Andre said it was a lot to think about, and told Morgan to think about a time before he was in the hole; a time when he was happy. Morgan said, when his little sister was there, and Andre told him, it wasn’t that long ago. Andre suggested he keep talking, and let Andre help him climb out. Morgan asked, why? So he kept hurting people? He didn’t get it. Sonny joined them, and said he got it. He knew it was possible to fight your way out of the hole.

Maxie said she wanted a future with Nathan, and asked if he was going to make an honest woman of her. He said he’d never loved her more. Ava beat her fists against Paul, and Franco broke it up, saying it wasn’t the time or place. Paul told Ava, they had business to discuss, but she said he daughter needed her. He said she wouldn’t do Kiki any good in Pentenville, and they went somewhere private. Griff bandaged Carly’s hands, and said he was aware her son was having a difficult time. She said that was an understatement, and asked how Kiki was. Griff said she made it through surgery, and it was a good start. Carly said he was being discreet, like he’d been with Sonny, when he knew Sonny could walk. The reason Sonny had wanted to hide it was to surprise his enemy. How was first do no harm working for him? Anna told Jordan that Paul didn’t seem too keen on arresting Ava, and Jordan said Anna knew more than her, since she’d been conspiring with him. Anna said she had no idea about the shipment until an hour before it happened. It was last minute, and a lot didn’t add up. Jordan said Ava could fill in the blanks, and they could nail Paul and Carrrlos. Anna said she couldn’t, because they weren’t the only ones who’d committed a crime. Jordan would have to arrest her too. Ava said Paul had blackmailed her into arms dealing, and he said Jordan was preparing to arrest Ava, but he’d stopped her. Ava said if she went down, she would take Paul with her. Morgan said he wanted everyone to go, but Sonny said he loved Morgan, and was wrong to lie. Morgan said he’d done everything wrong, and hurt Kiki, and he couldn’t anymore. No one could help him. Sonny said he knew what Morgan was going through, and that he felt dead inside. Sonny was like that for a long time. He’d wanted to end his life, and not hurt anyone else. He was living proof it didn’t last, and Morgan could find a way out. Morgan said he didn’t want to hurt his family, and Sonny got on the ledge with him, saying they’d jump together. Nathan said Maxie hadn’t been too keen on the marriage thing, and asked if it was because she was worried about him dying. He’d be there the day she decided she really wanted to get married. She was worth getting it right. Jordan told Anna, it had been months of dancing around and information being parceled out to her. Anna said Paul knew about her crime, the truth would come out, and Jordan would be forced to arrest her. Carrrlos’s trial would go cold, and neither one of them would be brought to justice for Duke. She needed time. After that, Jordan would have more people to arrest than she knew what to do with. Jordan said Paul was smart, and the longer she waited, the more time he’d have to cover it up. Anna said she was asking as a friend, and wouldn’t ask if it wasn’t vital. Jordan said she’d give Anna a few weeks, and she’d better not regret it. Every friendship had its limits, including theirs. Griff told Carly that he’d heard about the chaos, and realized he’d played a role in it. He wondered if it could have been prevented if he’d refused to participate in Sonny’s lie. He thought it was his duty to keep Sonny’s confidence, and couldn’t unmake his choice, but had to learn to live with the consequences. Carly said a lot of people were to blame, including her, but not Griff. Griff’s phone dinged, and he said Kiki was being moved to ICU. For the record, he saw Carly as a woman struggling to do what was right for her family, and it couldn’t be easy given Sonny’s line of business. If it was worth the fight, she shouldn’t stop.

Morgan said Sonny had no reason to kill himself, but Sonny said if he couldn’t keep Morgan from falling victim to a condition they shared, he’d have failed as a father. He would die of a broken heart. Either they both jumped, or they both went back to spend time with their family and friends. Morgan nodded, and took Sonny’s hand. Sonny helped him down, and told Morgan that he’d be okay.

Paul said Ava didn’t need to threaten him; they were on the same side. Griff found Ava, and told her Kiki was going to ICU. Ava told Paul she didn’t care what he did; just take care of it. He owed it to her daughter. Franco watched Kiki through the room window. Nina told him that Kiki was going to be okay, and Ava went in to see Kiki. Maxie told Nathan that she was relieved he wasn’t hurt worse, and was glad their engagement story wasn’t going to involve her proposing to him on drab hospital linens. He said when he proposed, it was going to be bootiful, and she said the painkillers were making him dopey. She told him that she loved him, and he drifted off to sleep. Paul told Jordan that he wanted to talk to her, but she said it would have to wait. She had a warrant for Ava’s arrest, and was going to serve it now. Paul asked to see it, and when she handed it to him, he ripped it up. She said, what the hell? and he handed her some paperwork. He said it was Ava’s immunity deal. She’d been cooperating with the Justice Department the whole time; she can’t be touched. Ava told Kiki that she was sorry she was late, but she was there now and not going anywhere. When Kiki woke up, her mom was going to be there. Ava sang All Through the Night to Kiki, and we saw Franco and Nina join hands and leave. As Ava continued to sing, Anna watched her through the window, while Griff watched Anna. Carly, Sonny, and Michael watched as Andre took Morgan away.

I thought this was very well said. I’m also not a fan of making other people uncomfortable. If it’s required, just put it on. You can use a bandana, for Pete’s sake.

🏛 Taking a Shot…

I’m actually considering getting Disney+ for a month, just so I can watch Hamilton. I tried for a long time to get tickets through their lottery, but so did a billion other people.

From David Rooney’s review:

The mix of old-school Broadway with the syncopated urgency of rap and hip-hop, sprinklings of jazz, R&B and even Beatles-esque pop makes this one of the most innovative musical scores in decades, sampling from a wide range of sources that include Rodgers and Hammerstein, Biggie Smalls, Gilbert and Sullivan, Grandmaster Flash and Mobb Deep.

📌 Putting a Pin In It…

Enjoy your weekend, but try not to tear down any statues. Remember, historical figures made mistakes too – dare I say there isn’t a person who hasn’t? Alexander Hamilton might not have thrown away his shot, but he also gave us the party system (gee, thanks), cheated on his wife, and had an ego the size of Rhode Island. Our forefathers might have had slaves, but John Adams did try to abolish slavery when the Declaration of Independence was written. Edward Rutledge (South Carolina) threatened to bury the Declaration (it had to be a unanimous vote) if it was included. If that had happened, we might still have slavery, and be paying taxes to King George the Whatever, and there would be no Starbuck’s because we’d be drinking tea. So stay safe, stay empathetic, and stay keeping things in perspective.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

In the park, Sam asks Alexis to please call her back. She was totally out of line, and wants to apologize. Molly comes by and asks, apology for what? Sam says she was unfair to their mom last night.

Chase brings Jason into the station, and says the Commissioner asked him to bring Jason in for questions about the warehouse explosion. Jason says he has nothing to say without his attorney, and Chase says, no surprise. She’ll be right with him.

Franco and Cameron walk in the park. Franco asks Cameron how practice was, and Cameron says, good. Franco says, maybe now they’ll have a chance to talk. How is he doing? Cameron wonders if his mom wants to find out how his session went, but Franco says Elizabeth has utter respect for his privacy. Him, not so much. Tell him everything

Trina shows up at the gallery, and Ava says, please don’t tell her that she skipped school. She’s afraid of Trina’s mother. Trina says, there’s no school today, and Ava asks if Trina has nothing better to do. Trina says she does have plans. That’s the problem.

Curtis walks into Jordan’s office with her, and says, it’s nice that Taggert was added to the Roll of the Fallen at the PCPD. She says, now she’s about to expose the worst thing he did, but Curtis says she’s exposing him to save TJ’s life. He knows she has a meeting with Internal Affairs. It’s tough, but she’ll have to pull through the conversation. She says she knows what she needs to do, but throwing her team under the bus, when she’s just as guilty? She hates that.

Sonny goes into the examining room where Portia is with Mike, and says he’s bringing Mike some decent coffee. He tells Portia, no offense, but she says she’s never worked in a hospital with drinkable coffee. Josslyn comes in, and Sonny says, look who it is. Josslyn says she brought cards. She was hoping Mike could help her play solitaire, since he’s better at it than she is. Sonny tells Portia that he understands Mike is disoriented, but thinks he’ll be better when he goes back to Turning Woods. Portia says she’s afraid there’s been a new development.

Carly, Bobbie, Michael, Sasha, and Willow sit in the waiting room. Sonny has brought coffee for everyone, and Carly says he went to spend time with Mike. Willow wonders when Wiley will be out of surgery, and Bobbie says, surgery needs time and precision, especially with small children. All that matters is that Wiley is getting the help he needs. Sasha is glad Nelle had the good sense to sign the consent form, and asks what they think changed Nelle’s mind.

Elizabeth goes out on the roof, and sees someone lying under a tarp. She says, oh my God, and finds Nelle underneath it. She shakes Nelle, and says she needs Nelle to wake up. Nelle opens her eyes, and Elizabeth props her up. Nelle says, the door wouldn’t open; she was screaming for hours. Elizabeth says, Nelle was out there all night? How did that happen? Nelle says, Carly.

Curtis tells Jordan, she’s turning Taggert and the others in so they can get Cyrus’s sentence overturned and get TJ back. Then they’ll go from there, and they’ll stop Cyrus for good. For now, stay strong. Taggert would understand. Chase comes in, and tells Jordan that Jason is in the interrogation room. Jordan asks if there were any problems, and Chase says Jason isn’t talking without his attorney, and Diane is going to make sure he says nothing. She says she’s got this, and she’ll let him know if she needs him. Curtis’s phone dings, and he says Portia texted him. She just started at GH, and wants to meet if he has a minute. He wonders what she wants, and Jordan says, there’s one way to find out. They hug, and he says she’s got this.

Trina tells Ava that she had some free time, and didn’t want to hang out at home. What can she do? Ava is sure she can come up with something, but says Trina doesn’t have to work to talk to her. She’s there for Trina. Trina says, thanks, but she’s fine. She asks how Nikolas is, and Ava says, it sounds like maybe Trina doesn’t want to go where she’s planning on going later. Does she want a note from her boss, excusing her from a boring activity? Trina says, it won’t be boring, and Ava asks if somebody is trying to get her to do what she doesn’t want to. Trina says, it’s nothing like that. She’s meeting with Cameron, and thinks she messed everything up.

Franco asks Cameron if it’s too personal or too parental, but Cameron says therapy isn’t the biggest thing on his mind. He has to sort something out. Franco is glad Cameron has good friends like Josslyn and Trina, although Trina is going through a hard time. Cameron says he thinks he made it worse when he kissed her.

Sam tells Molly, she said horrible things to their mom. Molly says Alexis called her voicemail, and she did that thing where she’s trying to sound okay, but she’s upset. Sam says she doesn’t know when to keep her mouth shut. Molly says, Sam’s whole life exploded in her face and Sam is devastated. She gets it. Sam apologizes, saying Molly’s life is blowing up, and she’s the one going on. She didn’t even ask if Molly or TJ’s mom have heard from TJ. Did TJ’s mom say anything? Molly says she didn’t ask. When she got to Jordan’s place, Sonny and Jason were just leaving.

Jordan goes to the interrogation room, and says, it worked; they don’t suspect. She’s been running the story in her head all night. He says, take him through it, just to be sure.

Sonny asks Portia, what’s going on with his father? Portia says his vitals are fine, but when an orderly tried to put him in a wheelchair, Mike’s legs wouldn’t support him. There’s no medical reason; he responds to stimuli and his reflexes are normal. She thinks he’s refusing to walk, and Sonny asks, why? She says sometimes patients who are unsteady on their feet refuse to walk for fear of falling. Sonny says she told him that Mike wasn’t showing any signs of his wrist being hurt. What if he’s in pain, and can’t say? Portia says they can run a test to make sure Mike isn’t in pain. She leaves, and Josslyn sets up the cards.

Bobbie excuses herself, while Michael, Sasha, and Willow talk about how Wiley’s favorite thing to do is stairs. Carly says, it was the same with Michael. Sonny’s old penthouse had a lot of stairs, and every time they took their eyes off of him, he’d be racing up them. Elizabeth pushes Nelle in a wheelchair, and Michael asks, what happened? Nelle says, his mother happened. The bitch tried to kill her.

Curtis goes to Portia’s office, and she thanks him for coming. He asks why she needed to see him, and she says, to apologize about Trina. He says, Trina is a grieving teenager. If she wants to be mad at him, he can take it. Portia says she wanted to apologize again for herself too. She knows it was wrong not to tell him she was married when they got together. She had so much going on… He says, it was a lifetime ago, and she says Taggert never found out about their affair, so it remains a secret. Curtis says, it’s not a secret. He told his wife everything.

Ava tells Trina, when it comes to messing up, she has more experience than she cares to admit. Go ahead; tell her what happened. Trina says Cameron is in love with Josslyn, but Josslyn doesn’t know it. Cameron didn’t either. They were fake dating to make Oscar jealous, but she could tell by the look on his face that it wasn’t fake. He still insisted he wasn’t, but she knew. And even though Josslyn doesn’t realize it, she has it in for Cameron too. That’s good, and Trina is happy; she wants that for them. In the meantime, her dad died and she got mixed up. Cameron is the only one who understood, and they got into a conversation. Ava asks if they kissed.

Franco says he thought Cameron liked Josslyn, and Cameron says they’ve known each other forever. One time, they were fake dating, and he thought she might have feelings for him, but then Oscar got sick. Franco says, and Cameron backed up because they were friends. Cameron says, friends is the operative word. Then Trina got in the mix. Franco asks how that happened, and Cameron says, because he kissed her. Franco asks if it changed how he feels about Josslyn.

Sam wonders why Sonny and Jason were at Jordan’s apartment. That’s unusual. Molly says she thought so too. What does Sam suppose they were doing there? Sam says she and Jason aren’t able to talk without violating her parole, so she has no idea what he’s up to.

Jason asks why Jordan is now bringing the issue to IA? and she says, after Taggert’s death, she reviewed his records. She was shocked to find proof that evidence was fabricated against Cyrus that led to his conviction. She tells Jason that she feels like she’s obviously nervous, and Jason says, she is, but it totally makes sense. She doesn’t want to tarnish Taggert’s memory, but she uncovered a discrepancy in the report. She says, it sounds simple, but he says, it’s not. She’s going to let Cyrus out to save her son. She says, and who cares that she’s setting free a major drug trafficker, and Taggert’s memory gets trashed?

Nelle says Carly locked her out on the roof all night. Chase arrives, and asks, what’s going on? and Nelle tells him to please arrest her. He asks, who? and Carly says, apparently her. Nelle is having another one of her delusions. Nelle says, this time, Carly went too far, and Chase asks what Nelle thinks happened. Nelle says, what she knows happened, is she was out on the roof with Michael – Michael says, that much is true – and Carly tried to convince her to sign the consent form. When she refused, Carly locked her on the roof. Elizabeth says she doesn’t know what happened, but she found Nelle on the roof. Chase asks if the door was locked, and Elizabeth says it was. Nelle says, see? It was Carly, and Chase asks if it’s common for the door to be locked. Elizabeth says it is, and Chase says, so it’s possible security locked the door. Nelle says, it wasn’t security; it was Carly. Bobbie says Nelle was there after she talked to Michael, and Elizabeth says, sorry; she has to leave, and gets out while the getting’s good. Nelle says she never left the roof, but Bobbie says she did. When she signed the consent form. Nelle says she never signed it, but Bobbie says, of course (🍷) she did. Carly says Nelle should be proud of herself. She behaved like a caring mother.

Trina tells Ava, it’s not like it was romantic. They’re friends, and it was probably a reaction to trauma. Ava says, that’s a mature realization, and Trina says they talked about that at school. How you react when you experience trauma. They’d been kidnapped, and it’s understandable. Ava asks if Trina ever had feelings for Cameron before the kiss, and Trina says, it wouldn’t matter if she did. Cameron has liked Josslyn forever. Ava says, in that case, kick him to the curb. Trina is too wonderful to be anybody’s second choice.

Cameron tells Franco, he’s liked Josslyn for so long, it’s not funny. She just sees him as a friend. Franco asks if they’ve gone out since Oscar died, and Cameron says, Halloween, but he thinks they’re better off as friends. They sit on a bench, and Franco says, what about Trina? and Cameron says, Trina is amazing. She’s funny, confident, she always tells you what she thinks, and always has your back. Franco says, and she’s super cute. Cameron laughs, and says, she’s a great friend. Franco wonders if Cameron thinks she might want to be something else, and Cameron gets up.

Sam says, so Molly went to Jordan’s to find TJ, and left before she could find out if he was there. Molly says she probably had no business going there. It’s so weird; none of this is like the TJ she’s known and loved. She goes from praying he’ll walk in the door, to throwing his belongings out the door. Sam asks her to sit for a bit, and Molly asks if Sam still has limited contact with Jason, and Sam says, very limited. Her parole officer is watching them like a hawk. Molly says she knows it’s asking a lot, but can Sam see Jason and find out what’s going on for her?

Jordan says, she should take the blame for fabricating the evidence, and Jason says, then what? She goes to prison, and Cyrus goes free. It will be a field day in there. The truth is, the others did the same thing. They knew the risks, and put their careers on the line to take Cyrus down. If they had to choose between their reputations and her son’s life, does she think they’d hesitate? She says, only they would know that. She tells Jason, she has to think about this, and leaves.

Josslyn tries to get Mike to play cards, but he just stares into space. Sonny asks if Mike wants some water. They could lift the bed up, unless he doesn’t want that. He’s trying his best, and knows Mike wants to go back to Turning Woods. Josslyn tells Mike, her dad wanted to come by and visit. Maybe tomorrow he could, and they can play poker. There’s still no response, and Elizabeth comes in with a wheelchair. She tells Sonny, they want to give Mike a chance to do this on his own. She says she bets Mike is tired of being there, and says they’re taking a trip to radiology. She touches Mike, and he freaks a little, yelling, leave him alone.

Nelle says her son can’t have surgery; she won’t allow it. Michael says she did. She went with the doctors’ recommendation, and signed the form. Wiley is in surgery now. Nelle says she never agreed, but Bobbie says, the consent form is in Wiley’s chart. Nelle says it was forged, and she knows who did it. She’ll bring in a handwriting expert. She tells Chase, please arrest Carly for forgery and attempted murder. She could have frozen out there. Sasha says, but she didn’t. Bobbie comes back, and says, the form is missing. Nelle says, wait until judge the judge hears about this. They’ll never see Wiley again. She’s going to get sole custody – if Wiley makes it. Monica joins them, and says she’s glad they’re all there. She has an update on Wiley.

Jordan goes to her office, and takes a phone out of the cupboard. She makes a call, and says, it’s her. She knows she’s not supposed to call… Of course (🍷) it’s the burner phone. She wouldn’t call if it wasn’t important. She’s not sure she can go through with it, and needs to be told it’s okay.

Ava tells Trina, it’s perfectly understandable. She thinks Cameron is a terrific guy. Trina says she knows he’s into Josslyn, and Ava says all she’s saying is, Trina needs to protect herself. There’s nothing worse than being in a relationship with someone you love who loves someone else. Trina asks if that happened to Ava, and Ava says, yes. It’s completely demoralizing, and makes you behave in desperate ways you can’t imagine. Trina deserves so much better. Trina says, so what Ava is saying is, she needs to tell Cameron that the kiss was an accident, a mistake. They’re just friends. Ava tells her, don’t misunderstand. If Trina is over the moon for Cameron, she’s telling her to fight for him, but given the circumstance, if she can walk away, now is the best time to do it.

Franco tells Cameron, being friends is a great way for a relationship to start. He and Cameron’s mom were friends. He loved her for a long time, but he didn’t think someone like her could care for someone like him. He took a chance, but Cameron’s mom took a bigger one, and she makes him happy. Cameron says, they’re adults, with a marriage and kids. He’s still in high school. Franco says, if he could tell Cameron one thing, it would be this. He’s a great kid, and deserves to be happy. Cameron says he and Trina are actually meeting in a bit. So, good talk? Franco says, yeah, and Cameron asks if Franco is going to tell his mom, but Franco says, no.

Portia tells Curtis, she likes Jordan, but supposes they’ll never be friends now. Curtis says, Jordan isn’t the jealous type; he gives her no reason to be. She says, Taggert was Jordan’s partner. She’s bound to feel some type of way about Portia betraying Taggert with him. There’s not enough understanding in the world for that. Curtis says, Jordan has a big job with a lot of responsibility. She can’t afford to take things personally. Portia is afraid Trina will find out. Trina thinks Taggert hung moon. Curtis asks how Trina is, and she says she’s watching Trina closely. Her friends are great, and Trina takes pride in everyone saying her dad died a hero. The PCPD added him to the Roll of the Fallen. Curtis says he saw that today, and she says she wants to take Trina to see it. She can take comfort in knowing her dad is finally getting the recognition he deserves.

Jordan puts the phone back, and there’s a knock at her office door. An officer says the guy from IA is there, and a man comes in. He introduces himself as Detective Cliff Simpson. She says she’s been expecting him, and he suggests they get right to it. She has information regarding the undercover operation that led to Cyrus Renault’s conviction? He’s looked through the folder, and most of it is  redacted. She says she was part of the task force that put Cyrus away.

Mike tells them, don’t touch him, but Elizabeth says, it’s okay; he’s safe. No one is going to hurt him; only help him. Sonny says they shouldn’t have touched him, and Josslyn says, they’re his family. They should be able to help. Sonny says, sometimes you can’t. Josslyn says, Elizabeth has been trained, and knows what to do, but Sonny says, Mike doesn’t see it that way. Josslyn hugs him.

Nelle asks if Wiley is okay. Did he not make it? Carly tells her to stop, and Monica tells them, Dr. Bedlow said the procedure went fine; Wiley came through with flying colors, and is in recovery. Michael hugs Willow, and Monica says, for the time being. The case was more severe than anticipated. Nelle says, so the surgery didn’t work? Monica says, Wiley is more comfortable than before, but is going to need a device installed in his heart that stimulates tissue growth and repairs it. Nelle says, so their illegal surgery didn’t work? and Monica says, illegal? Nelle says, the consent form was forged, and now it’s missing. Carly says she’s sure it will turn up.

Carly asks when they can see Wiley, and Nelle says, how about never? She wants Carly arrested for fraud, forgery, assault, and attempted murder. Carly says, Nelle is alive and well, and they only have her word. Chase says if Nelle insists on having Carly arrested, they’ll both have to come to the station to answer questions. Does Nelle wish to proceed? Michael tells her to take into consideration that she’ll be at the police station when Wiley wakes up, but he’ll be by Wiley’s side. Nelle says she’d only waste her time, since they’ll cover for each other anyway. She’ll sue the hospital. Monica tells her, good luck with that, and Nelle says, from now on, she wants any consent from her in writing and backed up verbally. Monica says, duly noted, and Michael thanks Monica. He hugs Carly, and thanks her for everything. She says, of course (🍷). She has to check on Mike, and as for everything, it will be fine with Wiley.

Portia tells Curtis, Taggert was married to his job long before he married her. She couldn’t reconcile coming in second. Things are different for Curtis and Jordan. They’re both in law enforcement, and understand the sacrifices that have to be made. He says, Jordan is determined to make a difference. Taggert took a risk with Cyrus. Portia says she knows; he told her. He knew she hated the constant worrying, and told her what he could safely tell her, so she didn’t imagine the worst.

Jordan tells Cliff, she was the person on the inside. They acted as distributors to gain information regarding the case. Cliff asks why she revisited the case now after all these years, and she says, the other three on the task force are dead.

Sam calls Jason, and asks where he is. He says he’s just leaving the PCPD; Jordan wanted to talk to him. She says, there was a development last night, and he asks if it’s bad? She says she kind of needs to talk to him face to face.

Cameron waits in the park. Trina arrives, and they smile at each other.

Carly goes to Mike’s room, and Josslyn hugs her. Sonny asks about Wiley, and Carly says, he got through surgery. Sonny says, and the prognosis? but she says they’ll talk later. How’s Mike? He says Mike just got back from a full body scan. They’re trying to figure out why he can’t walk. Carly knows it’s rough on Sonny, and Josslyn says, it’s better now that Carly is there. Sonny agrees.

Portia tells Curtis that her and Taggert’s communication issues didn’t help an already struggling marriage. He tried tell her as much as he could; at least at the beginning. Curtis says, an ongoing investigation is tricky, and Portia knows there was a lot Taggert couldn’t tell her. There was a lot she didn’t want know, but even when they were breaking up, she cared about him, and he did everything he could to reassure her.

Jordan tells Cliff, she needed to understand why they were killed. They’d helped do the impossible, bring Cyrus to justice. Cliff understands that Jordan needs answers, but what does that have to do with Internal Affairs?

Jason says he wants to see Sam too, but they have to be careful. Is she okay? She says, it’s Molly. She hasn’t heard from TJ in a while. Does he know anything? He wonders why she’s asking him, and she says because Molly saw him and Sonny leaving Jordan’s apartment. Why were they there? Jason says, she’s right; they should talk in person. Meet in the usual place. She says she’s on her way.

On the phone, Nelle says she doesn’t care how busy Zara is. She needs to see her now. Carly thinks she won this round, but Nelle is going to get the last word.

Bobbie tells Monica, Wiley got the help he needs for now; that’s the most important thing. Monica says, it all worked for the best. Too bad the form went missing. Bobbie remembers taking the form out of Wiley’s chart, and putting it into the paper shredder. Monica says, good thing Wiley has two great grandmothers looking out for him.

Sasha asks Michael how Wiley is, and he says, Wiley is a champ. Chase says, congratulations, but do him a favor. Never tell him what happened. Willow wonders what about the second surgery, and Michael says it’s all he’s been thinking about. Nelle has proven she can’t have a say in Wiley’s medical decisions. There’s only one solution. He has to win full custody – whatever it takes.

Tomorrow, Laura asks Mac what’s going on, Neil asks if he can help Alexis, and Jordan tells Cliff that they conspired to tamper with evidence.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht

On the beach, Jenna asks if Madison has a wine bucket. Madison shakes her head, and Jenna points to the mess of supplies in a jumble, and says, this sh*t can’t be here. She adds that Madison needs to put a bra on. In Madison’s interview, she says, okay, whatever.

Byron borrows Captain Glenn’s glasses, and the captain says they make him look intelligent. Byron asks if he can buy them, and Captain Glenn says, $500. Yana starts getting impatient, and says someone needs to tell the crew that they’re ready to go. Georgia radios Jenna that the guests are ready. Adam thinks they need a whole new set-up. In Jenna’s interview, she says the guests spend tens of thousands to do this. Now they’re sitting on a sh*t pile. It’s embarrassing. Madison says, it’s windy, and Adam suggests moving the table. In his interview, he asks, how hard can it be? Move the chairs out of the wind, put the umbrella in the ground, and get your head out of your ass. Arthur asks for tequila, and Georgia tells him, drink responsibly, but he says he’s not driving. Adam says everything will look better with the umbrella up. In Adam’s interview, he says they talk so much sh*t, but what they’ve been doing for five hours, he doesn’t know.

Paget asks Parker, what happened? and Parker tells him, everyone is doing a good job. He’s staying out of it. Madison whines to Ciara that Jenna is being bitchy. It’s complaint after complaint where it concerns her. Parker wonders about Jenna and Madison getting along for the rest of the season, but Jenna has no words. Back on the boat, Madison grumbles to Georgia that she’s frustrated, and a blood vessel popped in her eye because she’s literally exhausted. The guests get on the tender, while Adam grills on the beach. Georgia radios the guests are on their way, and Jenna says, sounds like a plan. In Adam’s interview, he says he lives for outdoor excursions. His father was a Boy Scout, and so was he. It makes him recall his childhood, and cooking over a fire. He thinks the best food is the least fancy, and it’s not so much about service or presentation, but about taste.

The guests reach the shore, and Adam welcomes them. They think it looks amazing, and sit down. Yana says, they have arrived, and Adam serves local oysters. Guest Carla asks if they’re being served, or do they have to pass it around? Guest CC thinks it’s phenomenal. Back at the boat, Georgia is thrilled that Jenna is trusting her enough to do the party. It’s nice to feel like she’s getting acknowledgement, and it’s a change of pace. Madison cleans the cabins.

Paget tells Jenna that Madison has a super crush on Parker. Jenna says, they’re both irritating, and she and Paget laugh. Georgia decorates with balloons, and dresses up the table. She thinks any self-respecting woman would find it a bit much. Adam serves the entrée, and tells the guests that he loves to cook over a fire. It adds flavor to the food that you can reminisce about. Yana is happy, but Carla is afraid to eat the asparagus because of the way it makes your urine smell. I knew that, but what’s really amusing is, it’s what I’m eating right now. TMI, I know, but what are the odds? It’s time to go, and Jenna tells the guests there are three desserts waiting on boat the boat. Yana says that’s her kind of dessert situation, and I wonder if she means eating them or just looking at them. CC wants to be carried back to the tender, and Paget obliges. Carla wants the same treatment, which is no surprise since she’s a huge baby.

Georgia asks how Madison is doing, and Madison says, great, but not really. The guests come back, and Yana thinks the décor is cute, and the color coordination is beautiful. Arthur tells her, happy birthday, and Georgia is thrilled the guests are pleased. Paget tells Ciara to start getting the sh*t together from the beach. Jenna tells Madison to put everything away, and Madison gripes to Georgia that Jenna is breaking her pretty good. Arthur brings out the cake, while Adam follows with two cobblers. Arthur bends over to kiss Yana, and hits his head on the sail when he stands back up, which is pretty funny. Yana says, it’s the best berry cobbler ever, but again isn’t specific about whether she means the taste or the visual. Ciara tells Paget, it’s hard when they’re the only two on beach clean-up, and asks him for a hand unloading. The guests go to bed. In Madison’s interview, she says she feels like she might like Parker, but… She shrugs. At 4 am, Parker gets up to find a note from Madison – written at 3:10 – and breakfast she made for him. So much for her being so tired.

Georgia reads a note hanging in the laundry to Paget that says, if you’re not Georgia, don’t handle other people’s clothing. Anchor is picked up, the guests get up, and the boat heads out. Arthur asks Captain Glenn if they’ll sail today, and the captain says, probably later. Breakfast is served, and Carla wonders if someone can make her a plate, because it’s so hard. And those are her words, not mine. In Jenna’s interview, she wonders how hard it is for Carla to get up off her ass. Should she chew it up, and baby bird feed it to Carla too? Parker tells Paget and Ciara about Madison making him breakfast and leaving a sweet note. He says she likes him, and Paget says, obviously. In Parker’s interview, he says Madison is his best friend on the boat. She’s his Lil’ Kim. A producer asks what he means, and he says he’d go in a mosh pit with her. Anchor is dropped.

Jenna tells the guests, today’s plan is for water sports and snorkeling. Paget and Ciara put the floating deck out, and Parker tries to school Ciara. The guests ask for a pitcher of pina coladas, and Madison asks Jenna to make them. Parker wants to make a game plan with the guests, and in Ciara’s interview, she says it’s not Parker’s job, but if he wants to put his ideas to the test, she’ll let him. Parker says he’s going to do an island recon, figure out what area is good for snorkeling, and report back. He tells the captain that the guests want him to go underwater and find out where the snorkeling is good. Which is not at all what just happened. The guests look at a parasailer, and CC thinks it looks boring. To their credit, the rest of them just look at her while crickets chirp. Jenna tells Adam that Madison stayed up until 3 am to make breakfast and write a love note for Parker. Adam thinks Madison needs more professionalism, and kisses Jenna.

With Parker still gone, the guests mess around on their phones, and Jenna looks for a backgammon game. Paget radios Parker, and asks what his ETA is, but gets literal radio silence. That’s because Parker is busy enjoying snorkeling. He says he forget how creepy it is by yourself. Apparently not so creepy that he’s not taking his sweet time. He asks a guy passing by if there are any good areas, and the guy points one out. Carla wonders how long it takes, as Parker marvels over a sea turtle. Finally, he radios that he’s on his way back. In his interview, he says, being the James Bond of yachting comes in handy. He doesn’t stop when he’s tired, he stops when he’s done. What is with this guy? He calls Byron, and says the engine temperature is going from 100 to 120, and asks what to do.

In his interview, Parker says he’s out by himself, hoping to make the captain proud, and this sh*t has to go down. Byron explains that the sea water coming through the bottom of the boat goes through a strainer, and tells Parker to check the basket; it’s probably full of sand, and the water can’t get through, so it hasn’t cooled. 85 to 90 is the prime temperature of the engine. It can get damaged if it overheats, and it’s an expensive repair. Yana says, Minecraft is expensive, to no one in particular, and I’m kind of surprised she plays that game. Parker tells Byron the window is so cloudy, he can’t see the basket. Ciara asks if Parker is breaking the tender. Byron tells him to close the valve, and stop the water coming in. In Ciara’s interview, she says, Parker’s confidence level is here – holding her hand up high – and his ability is here – holding her hand way down. Parker tells Byron the  temperature is now 89, and Byron says he’s good to go. In Parker’s interview, he says he’s proud of himself. He now knows how to change a filter. Byron asks Captain Glenn how much Parker’s salary is, and the captain says, he’d be paying for the tender for the rest of his life. His children might have to work toward it. Irritated by the delay, Yana asks Arthur if they can get a portion of their money back. He doesn’t think so, but wishes he had a hammock. I get the vibe that Arthur isn’t too ambitious on this trip. Jenna asks if Georgia would like to perform with Parker at dinner. In Captain Glenn’s interview, he says he’s all about giving the guests the best experience, so as long as Parker found great spot and they have a great time, he’s good. He tells Parker that they’re setting sail at 6 pm, and it’s 4 pm now. Parker says they’ll be back by 5:30.

Georgia calls Paget to get the seat covers from the laundry, but probably it’s really to flirt. At the snorkeling spot, Parker blows up a pink flamingo floatie. Arthur is hesitant to snorkel, but Parker says there’s nothing in the water that will hurt him. In a horror movie, this is where the giant alligator would swallow Arthur whole. A couple of the guests use the paddleboards, and Carla falls off hers. Couldn’t happen to a nicer person. Georgia sprays Paget with Febreze, which must be some new kind of seduction technique. Madison wants some coffee, but Jenna says there’s no time for that. In Jenna’s interview, she says, Madison is often doing what she didn’t ask her to do, instead of what she needs to do. Parker returns, and says the guests had a blast. They saw fish. Georgia tells him about Jenna’s request that they entertain the guests. Captain Glenn gets ready to set sail. Yana wonders if sails are always so slow to go up, and Byron says, it’s faster than doing it by hand. The captain shows Yana and Arthur how to bring up the sails, and Yana says, it’s a true boating experience. As they sail, the boat starts to lean sideways, and the crew grabs for stuff. Carla says they now have rosé salsa, and I wonder if these spoiled babies will be tipping at all.

Captain Glenn asks if Yana and Arthur want to take a chance at turning the wheel; it’s fun. Arthur gives it a shot. Yana wants Arthur to take photos of her while they still have the light. Because the first million photos aren’t enough. The boat is anchored down at Issos Beach in Corfu. Jenna radios Madison to help with dinner service. Parker gets a text from ex Kaiti, saying she wants to swim in the ocean with him. He tells Ciara, Kaiti is the love of his life. She asks, what happened? and he says Kaiti wanted space. She asks if it’s temporary, and if there will be the option of getting back together, and he says he hopes so. He texts back that he’s been thinking about Kaiti. Adam is glad the picture taking is buying him time, and Jenna asks if the guests would like drinks. In her interview, she says, come on, Madison. It’s stewing 101.

Lightening strikes in the distance, and the guests think it’s cool. It reminds me of the time I was having lunch in a restaurant right on the water and a storm came up. Lightening struck, and everyone in the restaurant went, oooh, at the same time. Dinner is served, and Yana thanks Adam for making it skinny. Arthur says Yana has eaten more today than in the last month. In Adam’s interview, he says Yana challenged him with her preference sheet, and now she’s like a hungry, hungry hippo. She can’t get enough. Madison tells Georgia, how Jenna speaks to her is not okay. She can’t do anything right. Georgia tells Parker to get his guitar. In Georgia’s interview, she says music is her number one passion, and any opportunity to play, or even practice, is welcome. She plays in dive bars, and has some traction in South Africa. She’s a medium sized fish in a small pond. Madison says the turndowns are almost done, and Adam serves chocolate mousse. He tells them, it’s very rich, so don’t feel like they have to eat all of it. Arthur says, there are starving children in Ethiopia, and Yana says, how romantic.

Jenna tells Madison, the floors aren’t done; there’s garbage all over the place. We see she’s not kidding, and in her interview, Jenna tells us, she’s not saying that to be a bitch. Madison is clearly not capable of the level of service required on a yacht. She asks if Madison went by the checklist, and Madison says, no; sorry. Yana tells the other guests that she was already struck by lightning (which might explain a few things), so they’re safe. One of them asks if she buys lottery tickets. Madison is annoyed that she has to finish some laundry tasks, and bitches at Georgia. Jenna comes by, and asks, what’s up? Madison says they’re having a conversation about turndowns and laundry, and Jenna says she can see that, and she’s asking because she’s their boss. Madison says, there are too many cooks, and in her interview, says she’s tired of Jenna sh*tting on her number two, which is her. Jenna asks if they’re good, and leaves. Georgia tells Madison, sorry, and they both say they appreciate each other.

While the guests have dessert, Georgia plays guitar and sings, while Parker accompanies her on the harmonica. Adam hugs Jenna from behind as she washes dishes, and Madison stomps around, being pissed off. The guests love the music, and a storm plays in the background. In her interview, Georgia says, yachting will always be her mistress, but music is her number one. Parker is blown away by Georgia’s talent.

In Jenna’s interview, she says, when she started in yachting, she was thankful. She was getting paid well, and could see the world. She doesn’t think it’s as meaningful to these girls as it was to her. She tells Madison to go to bed 30 minutes after the guests do; she needs sleep. Madison whines to Ciara that Adam and Jenna are kissing in the crew mess, while they’re working and hanging out there. She says it’s so unprofessional. Jenna has only known Adam for three weeks; she’s had manicures that lasted longer. Ciara says her and Paget have been together three years, and Madison says they deserve respect. Jenna and Adam’s relationship has no redeeming qualities.

In Madison’s interview, she says she’s supposed to go to bed, but she’s not going to. Don’t tell her how to live her life. Parker asks if she wants to look at the stars, and they go up on deck. Parker asks if she wants to yacht forever, and she says, f*** no. She wants to be in the fashion industry. He thinks she’d fit in well in NYC. Nope. She’d actually have to do real work. In Parker’s interview, he says Madison might like him, but things are stirring up with Kaiti. He has quite a conundrum. He texts with Kaiti.

Jenna tells Georgia that it was clear Madison was passing the buck when she interrupted them, and Georgia thanks her for stepping in. In Georgia’s interview, she says she loves Madison, but she’s emotionally charged, and everything is a personal attack. Jenna respects her enough to treat her lovely, so she’s just trying to keep the peace. Captain Glenn says he’s ready to lift anchor. Ciara says, if Paget loves her, why didn’t he get her coffee. He tells her, get up earlier.

Captain Glenn says the docking is going to be a snug fit. In his interview, he says they’re assigned spot is quite tight. The captain says it’s going to be a challenge, and they need extra eyes. They could hit the dock or the boat, and that would be intense. Paget radios Jenna, asking if she can spare two of her workers, which is really all she has, but of course she says yes. Ohh, they show us the space from above, and that is tight. Ciara goes out on the tender to the dock. In Paget’s interview, he says, on either side is a big expensive piece of machinery, and they don’t want to hurt the other boats. I gasp, since I think it’s the tightest squeeze I’ve seen on one of these shows.

As they pull in, I have a new respect for Captain Glenn. In his interview, he says, all in day’s work. It’s time to say goodbye to the guests, and they all say it was an amazing experience. Arthur says he didn’t know what to expect, and now they’re like family. Yana says Jenna read her mind, and for Adam, she has no words, except she needs to get to the gym. As the guests walk down the dock, the captain blows the horn, and they wave. The crew is called to the charter debrief.

The captain says, it was tough for some people, and Paget says, the barbecue was tough. Adam says, if you pick the wrong spot, it’s a waste of time. Madison carps that it was windy, and Adam says, if it’s the tip of a peninsula, there’s going to be wind. Jenna thinks it was successful. Captain Glenn says the tip was $17K or $1880 each, which is a surprise to me, but so was Arthur’s family comment. The captain tells them, they have the day off tomorrow to relax. He’s going to anchor in a beach bar area, and the next day he’ll bring the yacht back for their next charter. Right now, it’s time for champagne. He tells them, if there’s no eye contact during a toast, it’s seven years of bad sex, and Paget says he doesn’t need any more bad sex. Ciara is like, what? Madison complains to Paget that Jenna’s bitchiness is not warranted.

Jenna meets with Captain Glenn, and tells him Georgia is doing well, but she has a problem with Madison. She needs to manage her time better. She has the skills to be a second stew, but when she’s not sleeping properly, there are significant issues. The captain says they’re supposed to have a break so they can keep going, and Jenna says, when Madison is running around frantically, it’s because she’s staying up later than necessary. Then she’s telling everyone that she’s exhausted. She says, Madison has feelings for Parker, and Captain Glenn says, that’s why she’s up, since he’s on late watch. He says, Madison needs to take a break, and go to bed at a reasonable hour. Jenna says, if this continues, they’ll have to find a solution. The captain asks if Jenna is looking at possibly replacing Madison.

Next time, off time at the beach bar, Georgia thinks she’s agreeing to a threesome, and Adam is jealous that Jenna went to Universal Studios with Georgia’s ex.

July 10, 2019 – Oscar’s Will Is Read, the Return of Ashley, a Life Well-Acted & Rise Up

Standard

dWhat I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

At the MetroCourt, Sasha is about to renew her gym membership on her phone, deciding between monthly and yearly, when Shiloh walks up and says, hi there. She asks if she can help him, and he says he was about to ask her the same thing. She says she’s fine, and she’s waiting for someone. He says she seems troubled. He sits, introducing himself, and holds out his hand. Michael comes out of nowhere, and knocks him off of his chair, telling him, back off.

Mac asks Chase how Willow is. Chase says she’s doing as best she can. Max wishes there was another way. He sees Robert, and says maybe this is a good omen.  Robert says he’s meeting with a client. Sam arrives and says it’s her. She has evidence against David Henry Archer, aka Shiloh.

Jason goes to Sonny’s office. Sonny asks why he’s not in the safe house, and he says he’s just checking in. Sonny say Jason can’t be walking around. He’s considered a fugitive. Jason says, not for long. Brick comes in, and asks if it’s Jason who’s relocating, but Jason says his situation is about to be resolved. Sonny asks if Brick has everything, and Brick tells him, take a look. Sonny says, birth certificate, social security, driver’s license. Jason asks, who’s getting a new identity?

Cameron sees Dev outside Sonny’s house, and says he’s picking up Josslyn. The reading of Oscar’s will is today. Dev says it must be tough for them; he’s sorry. Inside, Josslyn gives Carly some juice. Carly asks if Josslyn has joined the green juice brigade, and Josslyn says Sonny wants her to drink the whole thing before she leaves; there’s tons of kale in it. Carly sarcastically says, thanks, and Josslyn says they want to make sure the baby is okay. Carly thanks Josslyn for real, and asks, what about her? Today is going to be hard. Carly asks if Josslyn wants her to come along to the Quartermaine’s.

Alexis asks If Monica needs help setting up. Ned and Olivia come in, and Ned tells Monica he said he’d handle it. Monica says she needs to keep busy. If she doesn’t, she’ll think about how much the family has lost.

Kim sees Drew at Oscar’s Meadow. She thinks they should probably talk before the will reading. She doesn’t know how much he remembers. He says he remembers she drugged him because she wanted to conceive a child to replace Oscar. Did he miss anything?

Shiloh says Michael just attacked him. Michael says he tripped; how clumsy. He tells Shiloh, be careful. Next time he might break his neck. Shiloh asks if Michael is threatening him. Michael says he didn’t, and Sasha says she didn’t hear any threat. He did sit down uninvited, which she interpreted as an unwanted advance.

Chase tells Robert and Mac that Carol took the blame for giving Douglas Miller the drugs that killed him. Sam says Carol lied to cover for Shiloh. He has too much influence in Beecher’s Corners, and has the PD wrapped around his little finger. Carol wears an ankle monitor, and they’ll have to get a subpoena to bring her to Port Charles to give an official statement. Robert says it might not be as easy as they think.

Josslyn tells Carly that she’d rather go by herself. Carly doesn’t want her to be alone, but Josslyn says she won’t be. Cameron comes in, and says he’s going with Josslyn. He asks if she’s ready, and she says ready as she’ll ever be. Carly tells them to text if they need anything. They leave, and Carly turns around to see a smiling Dev.

Sonny tells Jason the kid helped him and Dante in turkey. Dev came to Port Charles to find him, and got mixed up. Jason says, he came all the way from Turkey? Sonny says, Raj wanted him dead, and he had to flee. Brick is helping him fix things. Jason looks over the papers, and says, good work. Brick says, the best for the boss. Jason says, Sonny is making the kid part of his family? and Sonny says, keeping him close is the safest move. Brick says he’ll be the grandson of Mike’s cousin. Jason asks where Dev is going to live, and Sonny says at his house. Jason asks if he’s sure that’s a good idea.

Alexis says, there’s no way to tactfully say it, so, no fighting. Oscar didn’t want the family fighting. Ned says, they’re Oscar’s last wishes, so they won’t fight. He asks if Alexis found Jason, but she says, he’s off the grid again. She tells them, he doesn’t have to be present for the reading. Olivia asks how many people are expected, but Alexis doesn’t know. She’d delegated the details to her assistant.

Kim tells Drew, nothing happened. Not that it excuses her behavior. Drew says, it doesn’t. He’s worried about her. What she did crossed the line. Why? She doesn’t know, and says she’s so sorry. She doesn’t know how it got to this point. Drew says he does. She couldn’t take no for an answer, and took matters into her own hands, trying to conceive a child with him without his consent. She says she’s disgusted with herself, and grateful Julian came in and stopped her. She tells Drew that she’s ready to deal with the consequences. He asks what she means, and she says she could be arrested for what she did. She could lose her medical license, but she takes full responsibility. If he wants to press charges, she understands.

Sam asks Robert why they can’t just use Carol’s statement. Mac says, Shiloh clearly convinced Carol to lie. Robert says he’s with them, but he has to argue it before a judge. Sam says Carol was forthcoming. It’s her own voice, and she used her own words. Robert says, the judge might interpret it as hearsay, but Sam says there’s no doubt about Carol’s involvement in the cover-up, and the statement is from Carol firsthand. It’s not like there’s a third party involved. Robert says, unfortunately, there is. Mac asks, who? and Robert says, Sam.

Shiloh says Sasha misinterpreted his actions. He’s sorry. He tries to explain himself, and Sasha cuts him off, saying she doesn’t care. She doesn’t know him, and doesn’t want to know him. Michael tells him, run along before he has to ask the manager to throw him out. Shiloh jets, and Michael says what Sasha did was a thing of beauty. She says Michael knocked him off his butt. She just gave him a verbal smackdown. She assumes he’s the guy bothering Willow, and Michael explains that Shiloh runs a cult in Port Charles, and his sister was briefly involved. He recruits young women, but Sasha saw through that. She says she just thought he was hitting on her. Never in a million years. Even if she wasn’t… Michael says, wasn’t what? and she says, even if she wasn’t already with him.

Drew tells Kim that he’s not pressing charges. She says he’s well within his rights, but he says she needs to get help, and he wants her to concentrate on that. She says he’s right. She had a session with Dr. Massey this morning. She has a long way go to get better, but she wants to. She wants to be okay, and feel like herself again. He’s sure she will. He says, no matter what happens, Oscar is their son, and they’re forever bonded because of that. She cries a little, and he says they don’t want to be late. They should get going. She says, okay, and thanks him.

At the Quartermaine’s, Josslyn says it’s weird being there without Oscar. Olivia asks how she’s holding up. Josslyn thinks she’s okay. Monica asks how the reception was, and Cameron says, Obrecht went overboard. She claims she was pushed. His aunt also came back. Monica says, Sarah? but he says, Hayden. Alexis says, that ought to throw Finn. Monica says that’s not the word she’d use, and Cameron says he takes it Hayden isn’t her favorite person. Monica is worried what trouble Hayden will bring to the hospital.

Jason gets that Sonny owes Dev a debt, but Brick has already given him an airtight identity. Brick says Jason has a point. Jason says he can make other arrangements. There’s a knock at the door, and Carly brings Dev in. She says she’s dropping him off on her way to work.

Sam tells Robert, she’s not the one making the statement. It’s Carol’s story in her own words. Robert says Sam recorded it. There’s no context, and no proof there wasn’t coercion. The judge might think she was held at gunpoint. Sam suggests Robert subpoena Carol if he has to, and bring her to the judge. Chase asks why they’re wasting time. They have proof. Shiloh coerced Carol; she explicitly stated that he was responsible. Robert asks Mac to take a walk with him, and let Chase calm down. Sam says Chase losing his cool isn’t helping Willow. He doesn’t feel like they’ve done enough. What the hell is the point of being on the right side of the law, when they’re putting the wrong people behind bars?

Michael tells Sasha that he feels they’ve progressed, and he’s not complaining. She says her neither. Maybe they should skip breakfast, or better yet, order room service. He says he’d love to, but he’s on the way to his cousin’s will reading. She says she’s sorry; it must be tough. He says Oscar made them promise, no tears. It’s good to see her though, even if it’s for a little while. He was thinking about getting away for a little bit; getting out of town for a few days. She says, like the Martha’s Vineyard trip? And he says, but for longer, and further away. And no business meetings. He asks her to come with him. She doesn’t know, and he says he knows her time in Port Charles is limited. She says, who knows? A lot can change between now and her mom’s wedding.

Drew and Kim arrive at the Quartermaine’s. He thanks Monica for hosting, and Monica says it’s not easy, but they’re all in this together. Olivia asks how Kim is holding up, and Kim says she’s just getting through the day. She goes into the living room. Josslyn looks at a box, and Alexis says they’re personal items that Oscar left behind for everyone. Josslyn says, Oscar was so full of plans and ideas. There were so many things that interested him. Places he wanted to visit, and things he wanted to learn. Now all that’s left is in that box. Kim listens.

Carly hugs Brick, and Sonny introduces Brick and Jason to Dev. Sonny says Jason is like family, and Carly says if Dev needs anything, he can trust Jason. She leaves for work. Sonny tells Dev that Brick was nice enough to produce documents for him. He wants Dev to look them over. Dev says, a birth certificate, social security, and driver’s license; thank you. Sonny says Dev can start thanking him by memorizing the details. Brick says he wants to make sure his answers are as natural as possible, and takes Dev out to practice. Sonny asks what Jason thinks. Jason thinks there are a lot of ways to provide for Dev, but Sonny doesn’t have to let him move into the house. Sonny says, it’s a big house, but Jason says, what about Avery, Josslyn, and the new baby. It’s generous, but maybe he needs to consider how Dev fits in with the people who already live there.

Jason sits in his Thinker position. Sonny knows it will be a hard adjustment. Dev has been through a lot, and needs stability. Jason asks how much Sonny knows about Dev. Sonny knows Dev saved his life, and Jason says it’s a great reason to help him, but not move him in. What about Dev’s family. Are they alive? Dead? Is someone after them? He has different experiences and comes from a different world. Sonny can drill him until he can recite everything in his sleep, but he still has a past Sonny knows nothing about. Sonny appreciates what Jason is saying, but he needs to help Dev. He owes Dev, and sees potential. I’m wondering if Jason is jealous in some way.

Sam tells Chase maybe she’ll give Diane a call. Chase wonders how she can help, and Sam says, some sort of legal maneuver. Chase says Willow is jailed, and they can’t get Carol, their potential witness. Sam says maybe Diane can get the judge to issue a subpoena as part of Willow’s defense. She tells him that she’s going to get going, and he thanks her for going above and beyond. She says she’d do anything to see that bastard get his after what he’s done to Kristina and Wiley. Kristina is her sister, and Wiley is her godson, which makes him family. And she’ll do anything to make sure her family is protected.

Carly tells Sasha, whatever she wants, it’s on the house. Sasha appreciates it, and Carly asks if she can join her. Sasha says, of course (🍷), adding, it’s nice when someone asks. Carly says, that’s cryptic, and Sasha tells her, some jerk sat right down and started making personal remarks. Carly says she’s sorry. The staff shouldn’t have let them… Sasha says, Michael ran him off. For a nice guy, he has a side you don’t want to mess with. Carly says it’s perceptive of her to notice. Michael is kind and non-judgmental, but can’t be pushed. Sasha likes that about him, and the more she gets to know about him, the more she likes him.

Michael arrives at the will reading, and sits with Josslyn and Cameron. Alexis thanks them for coming, and says Oscar knew his time was limited, and also knew his love for them was infinite. She’s already gone over practical matters, but Oscar wanted to share some personal mementos with them. She gives them the standard beginning of a will, and reads, sorry for sounding so formal. Alexis said he had to be, in order to make it stick, and it’s important that it sticks. What he’s leaving behind is the only way to tell them how important they are to him.

Sonny tells Jason, Dev was dealt a bad hand. He’s a fighter, and took control of his life. Sonny is thinking with a home and family, he can get Dev on track. Jason says, what if it doesn’t work? and Sonny says, he’d rather keep Dev close, where he can protect him. Jason’s phone rings, and he says he has to take it. He answers, saying he was hoping to hear from them.

Alexis continues to read. Oscar thanks Ned and Olivia for welcoming him into the family. They both inspired him to pursue music and express himself. He’s leaving his keyboard in his room, and wants them to give it to Leo. He knows Leo has a little one, but thinks he’s ready for the real deal. Music runs in the family. Ned says, yes, it does. Olivia tells them, Oscar said no tears, but he’s making it difficult. Alexis reads, Michael was the first person to welcome him, while everyone else was arguing about shares or something. He showed Oscar the darkroom AJ built in the basement. He’s no professional, but thinks he got some good shots when no one was looking. Alexis hands Michael a framed photo of himself with Wiley. Alexis moves on to Monica. His grandma convinced him life was worth fighting for, and showed him the ins and outs of Port Charles. He wishes he had lived long enough to give her a tour of his hometown. The best he can do is give her this book. He’s flagged pages, and written in pointers, and if she ever has a chance to go to Cleveland, take it with her, and think of him. Monica guesses she knows where she’s going on her next vacation. Alexis says, Oscar says Cameron got his license first, even if he screwed up. Oscar is partially to blame, and wants to give Cameron some compensation. Alexis takes out some car keys, and says her instruction is to toss them to him. She does, and Cameron tears up. Me too. Alexis resumes, saying Josslyn told Oscar. life is about the journey, not the destination. Just because you don’t know where you’re going, doesn’t mean you’re lost. She gave him this, and he’s giving it back. May it guide her on her next adventure, wherever she goes. No matter what, he’s on her side. Alexis gives Josslyn the compass. Josslyn says she can’t do this, and runs out.

Sasha tells Carly that she and Michael aren’t official, and Carly says she’s not butting in. It’s just that they’ve barely said two words to each other, and she’d like to get to know the young woman who makes her son happy. Sasha says they agreed to be casual. Partly because her plans are in the air. Carly says she thought Sasha was going back to Chappaqua after the wedding. Sasha says it’s been great getting know Nina, and Carly is sure Nina will be sad to see her go, but she’s sure Sasha has a big life waiting for her. Sasha says, sure, but Carly says that doesn’t sound enthusiastic. Sasha says she had a job, but not a purpose, and Carly asks what’s stopping her from finding a purpose there?

Chase tells Sam that he’s worried. In the rush to protect Wiley, no one is looking out for Willow. She asks if he isn’t, but he says she’s been detained. She’ll stay as long as she has to, to protect her son, and he’s worried. Sam hopefully they can get Carol on record. The murder investigation will be reopened, and Shiloh will spend the rest of his life prison. Then it won’t matter if he knows about Wiley.

Carly say she knows how Sasha feels – stalled. She stalled a few times. She grew up in Florida, and didn’t have much purpose. Sasha asks what brought her to Port Charles, and Carly says she was tracking her biological mother. She’s sure Sasha did better with Nina than she did. Long story. When the dust settled, she found more than a purpose. She found a home. Maybe Sasha’s purpose is right in front of her. Carly hopes she hasn’t said too much. She’s going back to work. Sasha thanks her, and says it was nice talking to her. Carly hopes they do it again soon. She renews her gym membership for a year.

Dev and Brick come back to Sonny’s office. Brick says Dev is a quick study. Dev gives Sonny his deets, and Brick tells him, never recite your driver’s license. No one knows it by heart, and they’ll be suspicious. And he needs to wait for people to ask where he’s from. Don’t blurt it out. He suggests Dev do a deep dive into Bridgeport. The more he knows, the better. Brick leaves, and Dev says, when he came, he knew it was a long shot, but Sonny has done more than he ever imagined. He can’t thank Sonny enough. Sonny says, that’s what friends are for.

At Oscar’s meadow, Josslyn looks at the compass, and flashes back to when she gave it to Oscar. He says he loves it, and loves her. Cameron finds her, and says he thought she might be there. Is she okay? She says, no. She gave Oscar this compass so he’d never get lost, but he won’t find his way home this time. Cameron puts his arm around her, and she puts her head on his shoulder.

Michael tells the others that Cameron is with Josslyn at the park. Alexis says they can take a break, but Michael thinks they should continue. Monica agrees. Alexis says, to Drew, dad. He and Josslyn stole this glass to run the DNA test. He knows it violated Drew’s privacy, but he’s glad they did it, since it proved Drew is his dad. He figured in time, he’d give it back. Alexis gives Drew a shot glass, and reads, he’s sorry he never made it to Kilimanjaro. He loves Drew. Monica says Oscar would have been so proud of them for going. Alexis says, to mom. There’s literally nothing he can give her to show how much he loves and appreciates her sacrifices. She got him Mr. Bear when he was scared on the first day of preschool. Alexis gives her a loved-on stuffed toy. Alexis says, Kim always found ways to make him feel happy and safe. He knows she’d say it’s her job, but this is proof that she’s great at it. She was the best. Kim tries to hold her tears back. Alexis says, now for the distribution of ELQ shares. Oscar leaves the voting shares to… Ned says, what is it?

Mac tells Sam and Chase that jurisdiction matters. Robert says they need a corroborating witness, and they don’t have one. Chase says he should have known. He’s going to check on Willow. It is the law, after all. Someone has to. Robert says he wants this to work, but he can’t do anything without a witness. Sam says she can’t find one – Jason comes in – but he can. Mac says there’s an APB out for him, but Jason says he’s surrendering himself. He’s bringing them a witness who will bury Shiloh.

Ned tells Alexis to just let them know who got the shares. They promised not to fight. She says she’s releasing them from that promise, and Monica asks, how bad is this?  Alexis reads that Oscar has decided to leave the shares to somebody who helped him when he needed a roof to sleep under. I say, oh no! out loud, like, three times. She reads, he’ll use it to take care of other people. Shiloh walks in, and says, hello, everyone. How is everything? And of course (🍷) he smirks.

Tomorrow, Hayden tells Finn they should move on, Franco questions Obrecht about Wiley’s father, Harmony is ready to tell the truth, and Shiloh asks Kim if she wants to second guess her son’s last wishes.

Southern Charm

Everyone interacts with their pets. Lil Craig is the cutest.

Eliza answers the phone at Meeting Street Inn. Mom Susan comes in bearing food. In Eliza’s interview, she says, it’s a lot to handle. She comes from one of the oldest families in Charleston, and people hate her off the bat. They assume she’s a spoiled polo brat, but her family owns three hotels, and she’s been working in them her whole life. One day, she’s going to inherit the properties, and she’s learning every aspect. You name it, she’s there. Susan comments that the sofas are early funeral parlor, and Eliza says they’re getting them recovered. She remarks that Eliza’s nails need to be redone. In her interview, Eliza says Susan is a Southern mom all the way. She’s a proper Southern belle, and if Eliza has chipped nail polish, she tells Eliza she looks dirty. Eliza tells Susan that she was going to have a fox hunt this weekend, but the weather is looking dicey. She already sent out invites, so she’s changed it to a skeet shoot/Southern brunch. Susan asks if she can at least date someone closer to her age, since boyfriend Don is fourteen years her senior. Susan admits she’s not good at picking men, and wonders if Eliza is looking for a father figure. Eliza tells her, stop right there. In her interview, Eliza tells us that Susan has the idea she should marry into a family like the Limehouses, but her own marriage was a big mistake. No thanks. Her dating Don threw her mother for a loop. He’s from Jersey and a wildcard. Nothing about him fits the mold. She’s sick of the double-standard that women should marry, have children, go to church, and take care of their husbands. She tells Susan she likes Don, and doesn’t agree. Susan says she and Eliza’s father had counseling before they married, and the priest, who was also Chip’s cousin, said maybe they shouldn’t. They should have listened.

Cameran and Naomie meet for a pedicure. Cameran is drinking wine when Naomie gets there, and Naomie says she’s crazy. We flash back to Cameran’s party. Naomie asks if anyone stayed late. Cameran says Craig, Danni, and Kathryn stuck around, and Craig let it all out about her. In a nutshell, he feels like he and Naomie had no closure, and thinks her relationship with Metul is miserable. We flash back to Craig talking stupid. Naomie says, he’s asinine, and Cameran thinks it’s called denial.

Craig meets Shep, who’s walking Lil Craig. Craig says Shep’s dog has a good personality. Shep says he’s confident. He wants to keep Lil Craig warm, and puts him inside his jacket. Shep says Craig was shot out of a cannon at the oyster roast. Craig says he wants to shake Austen sometimes. He had a weird conversation with some of the girls about Naomie not going on the trip because of him. He’s dumbfounded. Well, maybe the first half…

Naomie thinks Craig lives on a different planet, and Cameran asks if she’s had a conversation with him about Metul. Naomie says there’s no point; it’s been over a year. Cameran says he’s hung up on what they had, and he’s convinced Naomie had it better with him. In her interview, Cameran thinks Naomie was Craig’s first love, and it’s hard for him to let go. She tells Naomie it might be therapeutic for her to sit down with him, and explain Metul is he man she sees herself marrying.

Craig tells Shep that he and Naomie never had closure. Shep says the awkwardness after they had so much fun is tragic. In Shep’s interview, he thinks they should look on their time together as a good ride, and cherish it. He tells Craig that he’d never try to interfere in any of his relationships, and wishes him nothing but the best. Craig says he needs to write that down.

Kathryn, Austen, and Chelsea take a barre class. Austen says, namaste, but instructor Jackie says, that’s not what they’re doing. Kathryn thinks Austen would look awesome in a tutu. They start with stretches, and Austen has a hard time. They do pliés, and Austen says, oh my God. Kathryn is feeling it too, and says her legs are on fire. Afterwards, Austen says he feels good. Chelsea is glad he joined them, and asks if he’s getting home by eleven. He says he is, and he likes it sometimes. Kathryn says Craig was going crazy on him, but Austen says they were texting that night like nothing happened. In his interview, Austen says, when women bicker, they go back to 2003, but men have the memory span of a goldfish. Chelsea asks if they’re going to Eliza’s party. Kathryn says her brother is getting married, so she won’t be in town. Chelsea asks if Eliza is friends with Ashley, and Kathryn says, yes. Chelsea says they don’t think she’d show up, do they? Austen does, and Chelsea says they probably shouldn’t have guns. Kathryn says Ashley is the one who shouldn’t have one.

Eliza calls Ashley from the car. Ashley says she’s working, and going out every night. She and Thomas got Botox together. He’s obsessed with her, but she’s just helping him out, since he’s single again. Ashley says they broke up. The allegations changed their life together. They used to travel, and now he can’t leave the state. That made it hard for them. Eliza says she misses Ashley, and wants to see her. She invites Ashley to the brunch, and tells her everyone except Kathryn is coming. In Eliza’s interview, she says she knows what it’s like to be an outcast, and wants to be inclusive. It’s Ashley’s opportunity to make peace with everyone, and Eliza is the only person who can help, since she’s the only one who doesn’t have a problem with her. She tells Ashley she can be her normal self, and not be dealing with the Kathryn issue. In her interview, Eliza says that Kathryn and Ashley are different, but are the same in that their relationships with Thomas took a toll on them. Ashley was sweet when they met. Now she’s a mess.

Cameran is meeting Shep and Naomie for lunch. Shep gets their first, and says, Lil Craig is on a playdate. He’s like a single father. Cameran says now he knows what it’s like. Shep says, before Naomie gets there, what’s the plan? Cameran says she doesn’t want to Craig. Shep tells her that he can say Craig’s past it, but Cameran says he’s not. Does he honestly believe Craig has no feelings for Naomie? Shep thinks Craig knows it’s never going to happen. He grabs a nacho off Cameran’s plate. Naomie joins them, and Shep says Cameran won’t share her nachos. Naomie says he doesn’t ask anyway; he just takes. Cameran says she wants to cut to the chase. She and Shep are there to convince her to come to Colorado. Naomie says Craig needs to be more chill. It’s so over. Shep says he talked to Craig days ago, and he’s happy for her. Naomie says it’s not important enough to make Metul uncomfortable. He said he wouldn’t go on a trip with his ex. Cameran asks if Naomie was single, would she go? Naomie says, yeah, and Cameran says, then it’s not about Craig. Cameran says, it’s a bad way to start a relationship, with… Shep says, parameters. Naomie understands where Metul is coming from. What if the roles were reversed? Cameran says Jason wouldn’t care, and she loves him more for it. Shep says she wants someone who’ll trust her, but Naomie says she’ll never get someone as good as Metul. Shep loves Metul, but tells her not to give up on Cameran’s real 35th birthday. Give Craig a chance.

Whitney comes down to an incredible breakfast spread. Austen joins him, and asks if he’s had any word from Craig. Whitney says, speak of the devil, as Craig walks in. Whitney asks if they’re bosom buddies again, and Craig says they shouldn’t be. Austen shouldn’t listen to the girls. In Austen’s interview, he says he shouldn’t be listening to Craig. Because he did, he’s not with the love of his life. Craig suggests Austen consult an Irish witch. Austen says Craig is an Irish witch, and Craig says he’s Dutch.

Eliza’s party is set up. In her interview, she says she learned her party skills from her mom and grandma. It’s a Southern woman thing. The plantation originally belonged to her grandma’s ancestors, but the house burned down during the Civil War. Not because of the war; it was a candle fire. It was rebuilt on the original ground. She begins to greet guests. Shep brings Lil Craig, and asks his cousin Marcie if he’s trying too hard; it wouldn’t be the first time. Shep introduces Marcie to everyone. Lil Craig plays with Boo, another, bigger, French bulldog. Chelsea says, he’s like the real life Craig. He runs from women who are trying to hump him.

Shep brings out the gun his dad gave when he was a little boy, and stashes Lil Craig with someone else. Skeet shooting is readied. Shep gets one on the first shot, and everybody does pretty well. Whitney orders green juice and whiskey. It’s unclear if he means in the same glass, which would be disgusting. Austen doesn’t do so well shooting. Cameran asks Craig if they can talk. She asks if he remembers what he said at her party. He says what they were telling him elicited a reaction. At the drink wagon, Naomie tells Austen that she wants to talk to Craig and get it over with. Craig tells Cameran that he was hammered, and she says, when you’re drunk, the truth comes out. Naomie approaches Craig, and Cameran tells them, go talk. They walk away, and Chelsea wonders if they can hide behind a tree and listen.

Craig tells Naomie that he had no idea her not wanting to go on the trip was a real thing. He’d hate to be the reason for her missing it. She has eight other friends going. If she reconsiders, he won’t bother her. She says, it’s a respecting thing. It would be a slap in face to Metul, because Craig isn’t over it. Craig insists he is, but she says she’s heard it over and over. Craig tells her that’s not what he said. What he said was they didn’t have normal closure; they just walked away. We flash back to their final discussion, where Naomie had enough, and did walk away. She says, a year ago, she was depressed and angry. She thinks he’s in a similar place. Craig agrees, and says he hasn’t figured out how to fill the void. He takes his mind off stuff by going out. Naomie wonders why he doesn’t deal with things head on, and he says he doesn’t know how. He tells her, it obviously took him a while to come to terms with it, but he’s happy for her. In Craig’s interview, he says he didn’t realize it would be this tough. Running into Naomie and Metul reminds him of what he used to have. He felt like their chapter was left open, even though they were writing new books, but now they can close the chapter. That part of their lives is over for good. Naomie says it’s been nice talking to him like a normal person. She’s gotten more out of this conversation then the last two hundred conversations combined.

Scotty dogs play one the terrace, and a band tunes up. Everyone plays games, eats, and drinks. Cameran asks when Ashley is coming, and Eliza wonders who spilled the beans? She tells them, it’s a Christian thing. She likes to forgive and forget. In her interview, she says she worried about inviting Ashley, since she’s finally in a good spot with everyone, but she believes in forgiveness and making peace. Cameran says Ashley said nasty things about Whitney’s mother. Eliza says she didn’t know that. Whitney says she did, but she insists she didn’t.

Here she comes. I hear Here Comes the General from Hamilton in my head.

Naomie says, no way, and walks away from table. Chelsea suggests she hide under it. Craig and Shep meet her on the walkway. Shep says hello, but Craig jets. Naomie tells Chelsea that he left skid marks.  Craig pretends to talk to the staff at the food table. Ashley goes over to Eliza. Austen moves leaves with Whitney. In her interview, Danni says she had a good first impression of Ashley, but she was really wrong. Really, really wrong. We flash back to the ferry ride during the trip to Hilton Head, where Ashley and Thomas terrorized the girls.

At the drink station, Shep asks if Ashley is still with Thomas, and she says he’s diving right into it. It was the worst year of her life. She says she needs a cocktail first, and gets one. She tells Shep that she’s not with Thomas anymore. He introduces her to Marcie. Naomie wants Austen to go with her to get a drink; she’s scared. He says he is too. In her interview, Naomie says, Ashley is crazy. If you’re not scared of her, you should be. Whitney offers to get the drinks. Ashley says, good seeing you, and Whitney says she talked sh*t, unfairly, about his mother. Ashley tells him that she could say the same for Patricia. She’s almost eighty – <gasp!> she went there – and Ashley thinks she should know better. In Whitney’s interview, he says Ashley insists on besmirching his mother’s reputation with conspiracy theories. We see a clip from the reunion where Ashley insisted it was Patricia who turned her against Kathryn. Whitney says she’s delusional, and Ashley says, same. Patricia made her life hell, and she has nothing kind to say about her. She doesn’t want get into it. Over at the tables, Shep says Eliza is also to blame, but he’s not talking clouds on a sunny day. I like that! He says he’s going to have fun.

Ashley sits next to Danni, and kisses her cheek. I think it’s all Danni can do not to wipe it off. At another table, Eliza says she hasn’t had any bad experiences with Ashley. Naomie says Ashley called her a bitch in front of an entire restaurant. Danni says she was Ashley’s friend, and she doesn’t think Ashley was very good to Kathryn. Ashley says she’s a nurse, but still needs to empathize more. She’s sorry she hurt Kathryn. The other Madison, owner of Gwynni’s, points out how Ashley trashed everyone on social media. Ashley acts like it was in the past, and Madison says it was two weeks ago. Ashley says she doesn’t want to get into it, so Madison should keep her mouth shut. It has nothing to do with her. Madison says they’re friends with Kathryn, and Ashley is talking about her. Danni asks if Ashley just told Madison to keep her mouth shut. Ashley babbles some total nonsense, and says she just wants to find peace, and they’re making it bad. Why even bring this up? Madison says because they’re close to Kathryn. Ashley says that’s who she needs to speak to. Danni says Kathryn isn’t going to do that, and Ashley says she’ll write her a letter. She leaves to get another drink. Madison asks if they’re in The Twilight Zone.

Eliza goes over to Danni’s table, and says they must hate her, since she invited Ashley. Madison says, no one is mad at her. Eliza says she wanted to give Ashley the opportunity to make peace. Ashley moves on to Chelsea’s table. She says Chelsea has a puppy (Lil Craig) in her hands, so she figured it would be safe. Cameran asks if Ashley is still living there, and Ashley says she is; she loves it. Wasting no time (probably since she has so little free time), Cameran asks why Ashley tweeted that they were all losers? Ashley tells Cameron that she’d said Ashley was a horrible person. We flash back to the reunion, when Cameran called Ashley a horrible human being. Cameran says Ashley called Kathryn an egg donor. That’s pretty effing bad. Shep and Craig are doing some fishing, and Craig says it figures Austen is with the girls. Ashley tells them that Patricia is the one who talked smack about Kathryn, and she respected Patricia, and thought Patricia can’t be lying. In her interview, Ashley says Patricia made Kathryn her enemy. We flash back again to the reunion, where Ashley said Patricia didn’t want Thomas to get back with Kathryn again. Chelsea tells her, if she’s there for Eliza, go sit with her. Ashley says she’s not asking them to lunch, but she wants to be civilized. She’s just saying hello. Chelsea says when Ashley ran into Naomie, she called Naomie a bitch. Ashley says, rumors, and Austen says, Madison was there. Ashley says she called Naomie a bitch because she was one. Madison says if Ashley is trying to make it right, calling someone a bitch doesn’t work. Ashley says she’s right. She should have just walked away from the bitch. Eliza wonders if she needs to ask Ashley to leave. She’s got it.

Chelsea tells Ashley that she can’t be calling people bitches, and expect them to be nice. Ashley asks why Chelsea’s friend isn’t nice to her? They restaurant was empty. Chelsea says she would have waited until Naomie was done with dinner to call her a bitch. In her interview, Eliza says she did not intend for this to happen. She knows Ashley is in survival mode, but she’s digging a bigger hole for herself, and making her look like an idiot. Ashley agrees she shouldn’t have done that, and says she has so many regrets. She just wants to say she’s sorry.

Austen calls Naomie over. Chelsea says, well… and Ashley says she wishes it had been different. They might have been friends and had fun together. Austen isn’t buying her crocodile tears. Naomie says Ashley called her a bitch, and Austen says she just called them losers. It’s impossible to believe anything she says. Ashley says she’s not talking to him. She doesn’t care about them. Craig tells Shep, it takes a certain amount of crazy to even show up. Shep says he’s incredulous. Ashley says she just wanted to be friendly to Naomie. Naomie says she was in a restaurant, and Ashley called her a bitch in front of her friends. Ashley now says she was joking, making me wonder just where on the insanity scale she falls. She’s gone just about everywhere possible with her reasoning. She tells Naomie that she had only good intentions. Naomie says, no. Ashley came up to her while she was eating, and wanted a hug. When Naomie said she wasn’t giving her a hug, she called Naomie a huge bitch. Austen says, that’s pretty on brand. Eliza says she tried, and it’s all she can do.

Whitney tells Kathryn they have a different interpretation of events, Cameran invites Madison (Austen’s ex) on the trip, Chelsea says she has a bigger d*ck than Craig, and welcome to Denver.

💥 A Final Farewell To the High Priest Maax…

Or Malox as I’ve often called him. While Rip Torn did it all, I’ll always remember him as the villain in The Beastmaster.

June 12, 2016 – No Shahs, Just a Throne Game

Standard

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & recaps from today’s real time TV watching)

Because I watched the Tonys – what a shame Hamilton was such a loser – hahaha! – just kidding – congratulations to them – I only saw the first half of Shahs of Sunset. No doubt I’ll catch up with them later, but the takeaway point I was left with was that Tommy is done with MJ. What? He took his clothes and everything. I thought they were making babies together, and now this? Quel disappointment. I also don’t want Vida to be right.

Game of Thrones

We’re back at that play about the Lannisters. Lady Crane has taken Arya’s advice and put more anger in her monologue. The crowd goes wild. And I keep thinking about that carrot cake in my refrigerator.

Lady Crane is about to have her usual apres-monologue booze, when she hears Arya backstage. Arya is practically bleeding to death. Lady Crane dresses her wounds and tells Arya how she came to learn nursing; she was always stitching up her bad boy boyfriends. Lady Crane asks Arya to come with the troupe, but Arya say she can’t. She says there’s someone with no name after her. They talk for a while and Lady Crane gives Arya something to help her sleep.

A bunch of guys sit by a fire in the forest, jackassing around. I guess they’re the guys who killed The Hound’s peeps because he strolls right up and slaughters them.

Cool! It’s the market in Meereen. I’d love to haggle there. A woman makes a speech to a small crowd about how they should support Dany and wait for her. Tyrion and Varys stroll through the market. Tyrion hopes that Varys is right about his mission. Varys says if he doesn’t come back Tyrion will know he was wrong. That’s the spirit! Tyrion says he’ll miss Varys, and they part company.

The High Sparrow sends messengers to ask for Cersei. She says he can come see her, but the head messenger insists. Cersei says the Sparrow promised she could stay in the Red Keep until her trial, but the messenger says, oh no he didn’t. The Mountain comes out in his armor. The messenger says if Cersei doesn’t come willingly, there will be violence. Cersei says she chooses violence and The Mountain makes quick work of one of the messengers. Cersei tells the pretty startled speaker of the group that the Sparrow can come visit her any time.

A bunch of soldiers approach Brienne and Pod. She says she’s there to talk to Jaime and says she has his sword. At the camp, Bron goofs on Pod and then wonders if Brienne and Jaime are doing the nasty in the tent. Bron offers to give Pod fighting lessons. He immediately smacks Pod and says lesson number one is to understand that everyone wants to hit you.

Jaime and Brienne talk in the tent. She tells him about Sansa and says she’s come for The Blackfish. She tells Jaime that Sansa intends to take back her seat at Winterfell. She says he’s a knight and she knows there’s honor in him. and that he should take Riverrun without bloodshed. She says she’ll help him if he helps her. Jaime tells her The Blackfish is more stubborn than she is, but all right. Brienne asks for his word that if she helps him take Riverrun, he’ll give them safe passage. He agrees.

Brienne gives Oathkeeper to Jaime, saying that he gave it to her for a purpose and she’s achieved the purpose. He says it’s hers and always will be. Brienne tells him that if The Blackfish doesn’t surrender, honor compels her to fight on his side. Jaime says he understands and hopes it doesn’t come to that.

The Blackfish tells Brienne that he hasn’t seen Sansa since she was a kid and he doesn’t care. She tells him that Jaime is the one who sent her to get Sansa and she’s sworn to protect Sansa until she dies. She shows him the letter. He says he doesn’t have enough men to help Sansa take Winterfell. Brienne says he still has more than Sansa does. The Blackfish says he has his own home to defend and if Jaime wants the castle, he’ll have to take it. Brienne tells Pod to send Sansa a message that she failed.

Cersei is told that there’s to be a royal announcement in the throne room, but her place is in the gallery. Ouch! Tommen speaks about the faith and the crown, and how the Father judges them all. He announces when Loras’s and Cersei’s trials will be, adding there will be no more trial by combat. Uh-oh, there goes Cersei’s plan. He says it isn’t fair and helps the defendant to escape judgment, which I have to agree is true.

A maester sidles up to Cersei. He says he’s investigated a rumor and it’s about to blow the lid off the place. I’m paraphrasing.

Tyrion tells Greyworm and Missandei that Meereen has been reborn. Neither one of them is a drinker, but he insists they have a drink with him. He toasts to Dany and says anyone not drinking is disrespectful to their queen. Greyworm isn’t impressed with fermentation. Tyrion says he’d like to have his own vineyard and call his wine The Imp’s Delight. He tells a three-guys-walk-into-a-bar joke, but neither one of them get it. Missandei is liking the wine and Tyrion asks her to tell a joke. After she does, Greyworm tells her it’s the worst joke he’s ever heard. They start to relax and laugh a little, and suddenly Greyworm jumps up and runs out.

A load of ships are coming in and Missandei says the masters are back for their property.

Jaime apologizes to Edmure for the way the Freys treated him. Edmure says his uncle will never surrender the castle, so Jaime is wasting his time. Jaime says The Blackfish is an old guy and Edmure has a son now. Edmure says he’s never seen his son. Jaime says going against the crown has consequences. They go back and forth with Edmure finally calling Jaime an evil man. He asks how Jaime lives with himself.

Jaime says Edmure’s sister once hit him in the head with a rock and they sort of laugh. Jaime says he admired Catelyn. Edmure tells Jaime not to talk about her. Jaime says she was a lot like Cersei and would do anything to protect her children. Edmure asks what he really wants. Jaime says he loves Cersei and she needs him. He says he’ll do whatever he can to take Riverrun and get back to her. He says none of them mean anything to him except her. He’ll kill all the Tullys if he has to.

Edmure approaches the castle, saying he’s the rightful Lord of Riverrun and demands entry. The Blackfish tells the gatekeeper not to let him in, but the gatekeeper says he’s sworn to serve the Lord of Riverrun. The Blackfish says he’s not obeying the Lord of Riverrun; he’s obeying Jaime Lannister. The Blackfish says he’ll have his head first and the gatekeeper says The Blackfish is not the Lord of Riverrun. The Blackfish puts his sword away, since he can’t argue with that, and the drawbridge is lowered.

Edmure goes inside, saying nothing to The Blackfish. He goes upstairs and is welcomed home. He tells the gatekeeper that everyone is to lay down their arms and to open the gates. Jaime looks at the Freys like, ah-ha (in Nelson voice), I was right. The soldiers enter Riverrun. Edmure says to hand The Blackfish over to the Freys for poetic justice.

Brienne and Pod are leaving. Brienne tells The Blackfish to come with them, but he says it’s his family home and he hasn’t had a proper sword fight in years. I give him props for his chutzpah.

Jaime is told The Blackfish died fighting. He looks out over the castle wall and sees Brienne and Pod leaving in a boat. He and Brienne wave to each other. I guess they’ll always be friends, eh?

Meanwhile, Meereen is being bombarded with fire bombs from the ships. Greyworm is arguing with Tyrion. Greyworm says the army needs to wait for the masters to come to them and not go to the beach. Suddenly, a bunch of Ninja type guys come in and bow down. Dany has arrived.

The Hound hears people in the forest. He sees some guys about to be hung. The hangmen are Beric and Thoros from the Brotherhood Without Banners. The Hound realizes the hangees are part of the gang who killed Brother Ray and the others, and finds out they were also part of the Brotherhood. He wants to deal with them, but compromises with taking out two. He wants to use his ax, but Beric says they only do hanging. Again there’s a compromise where The Hound can cut off some fingers or something. He also takes a pair of boots from one of the dead guys.

The Hound shares supper with his old friends. Beric asks him to join them. The Hound says he tried that and it didn’t work. Beric tells him they need good men to help them. The Hound says last time they met, Beric wanted him dead. Beric says that the Lord of Light spared The Hound for a reason. He tells The Hound he can still help more than he’s harmed and it’s not too late.

Arya is recovering at Lady Crane’s place. A guy stops by while Arya is sleeping and Lady Crane gets a vial from the top of a cabinet.

Arya is startled awake and finds Lady Crane totally butchered. The Waif appears and says if Arya had done her job, Lady Crane would have died painlessly. Arya jumps from the balcony and runs, The Waif behind her. She’s pretty freakin’ fast too. They run through Braavos. Finally Arya looses The Waif, but gets herself lost.

Arya walks through a steam-room into the market and there’s The Waif. Arya jumps over a wall and takes an amazing tumble down a whole lot of stairs, upsetting quite a few merchants. She’s hurt, but manages to crawl away, The Waif trailing her. Why, I don’t know, but Arya goes through an alleyway where there’s no way out. The Waif follows with a knife.

Arya is crouched in a dark room. The Waif closes the door and tells Arya it will be over soon. Arya has Needle, but the Waif says that won’t help her.

Jaqen sees a trail of blood leading to the pool. He goes downstairs to where the faces are. He sees The Waif’s face among them. Behind him, Arya says he told The Waif not to kill her. He says yes and that finally a girl is no one. She says the girl is Arya Stark of Winterfell and she’s going home. Jaqen smiles. Kind of.

Next time, Jon is ready for war, and war it is. Looks like a doozie.

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & recaps from today’s real time TV watching)

General Hospital – Thursday

A prayer service for Nicholas is being held at Windemere. Lulu and Dante arrive. Laura says she felt they could support each other. Spencer escorts Emma to the kitchen for cookies. Elizabeth tells Hayden she wants a truce.

Alexis tells Julian he’s holding the proof he killed somene, so how can he ask if there’s a chance for them? He says he still loves her and doesn’t want to lose her. Bleh. She asks if he loved her when he ripped the shirt out of her hand and grabbed her arm. He tells her he’s trying to protect them. She tries to get the shirt back again, and when he pulls it away, she says he’s the only one he’s trying to protect. He tries to turn it around, intimating that she took vows and she’s not standing by him. Boo-hoo. She says he’s not the only one who could get in trouble.

Griff tells Lucas that if God was testing him by putting Carrrlos in his path, he’s not sure if he passed the test. He says he’s on a leave of absence from his diocese. Lucas wonders how Griff feels about his gayness. Griff tells Lucas that he and his church don’t always see eye to eye, along with some kumbaya stuff, but says that has nothing to do with him keeping his being a priest a secret.

Spinelli shows up at Maxie and Nathan’s. They’re still arguing and he suggests coming back after they’ve kissed and made up. Maxie says that won’t be happening. Spinelli says statistics say arguments like these usually lead to a night of passion. He goes to make some tea and Nathan tells Maxie he’ll always regret his actions with Claudette. Maxie tells Nathan she needs time to process everything. He leaves and Spinelli asks Maxie what’s going on.

Sam wants to look for evidence during the gathering at Windemere, but Jason says the others might be wise to her. He’s going to take a boat to the other side of the island and sneak in. He says the cops are only looking for the obvious, but he’ll know what he’s looking for when he finds it. He says Nicholas was desperate, and desperate men make mistakes. He tells her to stick with the group and he’ll text her when he’s done.

Elizabeth tells Hayden that for tonight, they’re here for Nicholas. When that’s over, they can go back to hating each other.

Spencer asks if Emma knows what kind of party she’s at. Emma says they’re getting together to pray for his father’s return. Spencer says he knows for a fact that Nicholas isn’t coming back. Hayden goes to the door and Naomi is there. Naomi says she’s there for moral support and Hayden says Naomi is there to look for the diamonds. She blames Hayden for losing them and goes in to the drawing room.

Laura and Lulu are concerned about Spencer, but Lulu says Dante is doing his best to get through to him. Dante tells Spencer there’s no evidence to prove his father isn’t coming back. Spencer says it’s better to accept the obvious. He doesn’t want to grieve for his father twice.

Alexis tells Julian since he has the shirt, he wins. All he has to do is destroy it. Without evidence, the only thing she has is hearsay. He says he loves her. She tells him he can have her or get away with murder, but not both. He leaves with the shirt and she dissolves into tears.

Alexis calls Diane and tells her something came up and she can’t explain right now. She says the evidence is gone and she can’t get it back, but she’s not letting Julian get away with murder. Julian barbecues the shirt.

Nathan sees Griff at the hospital. He says Griff managed to save his life and ruin it at the same time.

Hayden introduces her mother to Laura. Laura says her hope is that Nicholas will return to them. When Laura steps away, Naomi asks Hayden if she thinks Nicholas is coming back. She says no, but she wishes he would. Laura thanks everyone for coming. She says they’re all missing Nicholas and hoping for answers and wishing for the best. Spencer says Nicholas is gone and the drawing room doors open.

Jason skulks around Nicholas’s bedroom. He checks the trash, like no one would have done that.

Sam enters the drawing room. Dante asks where Jason is and she says she wishes she knew. Like he’d be showing up there in the first place. Lulu thanks Laura for arranging everything. She says she wants to be drawing on her love for Nicholas, but her fear is overpowering her feelings. She says seeing all of them makes her feel less alone. Spencer asks to be excused and leaves with Emma.

Jason goes through drawers and finds a notepad.

Spinelli says it didn’t sound like happiest of unions and the green card thing is illegal. He says maybe Nathan didn’t want to relive it. Maxie says they got past it and started planning the wedding, but that was just the tip of the iceberg. She wants to tell him the rest, but Nathan made her swear not to. He asks for a hint. She says she can’t talk about it to anyone and suddenly spaces out for a moment. She says she has to go and she’ll talk to him later.

Nathan tells Griff that he said to be honest and now Maxie doesn’t want to be with him any more. Geez, isn’t Nathan a little old to be blaming the people he takes advice from when it backfires? Griff says he’s sorry to hear that, but he can’t get any more involved than he is already. He suggests they see a therapist or talk to family members, but whatever they decide, leave him out of it.

Lucas goes to Julian and Alexis’s place, and Alexis let’s him in. He thanks her for volunteering the house for his and Brad’s wedding and she has no idea what he’s talking about. He says Julian told them they could have the wedding there – tonight. Lucas can see how surprised she is and says he’ll change the date, but she says no, they should go ahead. He tells her he’s glad Julian found her. When he leaves, Alexis relives finding out that Julian killed Carrrlos. She’s about to get out the dagger when Julian walks in. What have I said about his timing? He asks if he shouldn’t have come back and she says where else should he be an hour before his son’s wedding that he didn’t bother telling her about.

Spencer gives Emma a handmade heart to remember him by and I wonder if he used the diamonds on it. Jason watches unbeknownst to them. Emma asks where Spencer is going and he says nowhere, but she’ll be going back to California. When they leave, Jason comes back out of his hiding place.

Hayden says if Nicholas could see all of them there, nothing would stop him from coming back to them. Laura asks for a moment of silence to pray for his safe return. Naomi whisper asks to Hayden who else knows about the diamonds.

Dante asks if there’s anything Sam can tell him about where Jason is. She says the only thing he said was for her not to go anywhere. Dante says Jason saved his life and he’s grateful. She says if she hears from him, she’ll tell him to contact Dante. When Dante leaves, Elizabeth tells Sam to tell Jason to be careful because something is very wrong.

Maxie runs into the hospital and asks Griff to put on his priest hat because she has to talk to someone about her fiance. He says he’s the last person she should talk to.

Jason texts Sam that he’s out. Dante goes into the hallway to make a call and asks for a tail on Sam who just left.

Julian asks Alexis if they can move past it. She asks how he could throw their future away. He says he never thought they’d be in this position; he thought they were a team and were still together.

Tomorrow, Hayden tells Naomi they’re having her arrested, Ava skips town, and Spinelli uncovers some dirt.

General Hospital – Friday

Today, GH was pre-empted and ABC showed a repeat because of the Mohammed Ali funeral in some areas.

So, in lieu of that, I have a little tirade.

Hamilton

Normally, I don’t write about theatre, but at one time I was on Broadway – okay, it was 103rd Street and Broadway, but technically, it was still Broadway – so I feel compelled to air my grievances about the discouraging way the tickets for this are being handled.

I keep praying I either wake up rich so I could afford to see it, or wake up stupid so that I no longer want to. While it’s not bad enough tickets are already astronomically priced and the show is sold out until January, in order to combat scalping, ticket prices are rising even higher for this particular show. That’s right, instead of punishing the people breaking the law, the audience is being penalized.(While it’s not a crime to resell a ticket, it is if you’re going to rob someone blind, not to mention the problem of fake tickets),  I guess they figure fewer scalpers will shell out the original price and don’t care if the people wanting to see the show have to suffer for that. Supposedly, as a consolation prize, they will be adding more tickets to the daily lottery. Oh yay! My odds will be a percentage of a percentage of a percent better now.

Part of the charm of this show is that it’s about a nobody’s rise from poverty to being a key figure in forming a new nation, as well as the casting being all inclusive. However, the rest of us nobodies are being excluded by our bank balances. I’m disappointed that Lin-Manuel Miranda isn’t being vocal about this. Especially since he’s spoken out about other forms of audience rip-offs.

Lest you think an actor has no say in the matter, I don’t buy that. As a matter-of-fact, I personally blame Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane for the original exorbitant rise in ticket prices. It happened during their run in The Producers when they insisted on more money because they were now big stars, and apparently cared less about the work and those who would like to see it, than their wallets. There have certainly been musicians in the past who have stepped in and stopped such thievery of their fans, but Broadway actors seem to have ceased caring.

That’s sad, coming from a place where the work, and the enjoyment of the audience, should be first and foremost. And everyone should get a fair shot at tickets.
