What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Nina goes through the box from Britt’s office, momentarily clutching the Doctor of the Year trophy to her chest. She takes out a document, and looks at it, when Ava comes in. Ava asks what Nina has there.

In the hospital elevator, Willow tells Michael that she felt such dread when she came there for chemo, but today, she has a bone marrow donor. She can actually believe this nightmare is coming to an end. He tells her that she’s a fighter, and he’s amazed by her, but she says she couldn’t have done any of it without him by her side. She’s so excited for what the future holds for their family. They hug.

Dante and Jordan approach Esme’s room, but Martin says he’s afraid he can’t let them go in there.

Elizabeth asks how Terry is doing, and Terry says she’s ready to throw her phone in the medical waste bin. Elizabeth says she’s sorry. She can’t imagine how it’s been. Martin approaches the desk, followed by Jordan and Dante, and says, as Chief of the medical staff of this hospital, he must insist Terry intercede, before Commissioner Ashford and Detective Falconari do irreparable harm to one of her patients.

On the phone as she walks into Kelly’s, Alexis says she won’t be coming back to the office this afternoon; something came up. She turns around to see Nikolas  coming in, and says, with her family.

Spencer goes into Windymere, and tells Sonny that he just needs a few minutes to grab his things. He doesn’t want to spend any more time here than necessary. Victor asks where Spencer is off to, and Sonny says, Spencer is coming home with him. He can make his own decision whether he wants to stay in this pit. Victor says he’ll be damned if he lets Sonny put his grand nephew’s future in jeopardy. Spencer says he appreciates Victor looking out for him, but the condition of his release was to remain in Victor’s care until the original date of his sentence has passed, and they’re past that date. He’s free to do whatever he wants. Victor says, of course (🍷) he is, but Spencer just lost his friend Dr. Westbourne. Isn’t this a time to be with family? Spencer says he will be with family, and Victor says he knows Spencer suffered a terrible loss, and he’s truly, deeply sorry. Please stay here, and let Victor help him. Spencer says, if it was just Victor here, he’d consider it, but the sooner he gets away from his father, the better. Victor says he knows Esme turned up last night; it was all over the news. He knows Spencer and Nikolas were always at odds over that troubled woman, but Spencer says, it’s more than that. Esme is pregnant with his father’s baby. So does Victor really think Nikolas is the best person to console him in his time of need?

Jordan tells Martin to cut the theatrics. She already spoke to Terry about Esme answering questions, and she’s perfectly capable. Terry says, Esme’s doctor already signed off on it, and she sees no reason to keep the Commissioner and Dante from questioning Miss Prince. Martin says, no reason? His client is pregnant, fragile. She can’t remember a single solitary thing about her life. What can the police possibly hope to achieve by harassing her? Terry asks if Finn would double-check that Esme is strong enough to talk to the police, and monitor her while they’re asking questions, and Finn says, of course (🍷). Terry thanks him, and says, if he sees any reason for concern, don’t hesitate to contact her. Finn leads the way to Esme’s room, Martin following. Elizabeth asks if Terry wants to talk about it, and Terry says, it’s just been one thing after another, and she has to catch up on everything Britt was taking care of. They were at her party last night; she was dancing and singing. Terry’s voice breaks as she asks, how is she just gone?

Nikolas thanks Alexis for meeting him on such short notice, and she says, it was no small feat, considering today’s news cycle. They found Esme, pregnant, no memory… Britt’s death. How is Spencer handling things? He says, Spencer isn’t exactly talking to him these days, and she says, Spencer came over on Christmas, and told her about some of their issues. She’s not surprised. He says, actually, he didn’t ask to meet to discuss Spencer. He’s in trouble, and needs legal advice. She says, how many times does she have to tell him, she’s not an attorney, but he says he needs advice, even if it’s in an unofficial capacity. She asks if he doesn’t have an uncle who’s an attorney, but Nikolas says, he’s busy defending Esme on criminal prosecution. She says, good luck with that. That’s going to be an almost impossible defense to mount. He says, all the more reason she needs a good lawyer, and Alexis says she doesn’t care about Esme’s legal trouble. What she cares about is why he cares about it. He says he’s the father of Esme’s baby, and needs her help in protecting his unborn child.

Willow says she knows Terry will get to them as soon as she can, but it’s hard to wait, and Michael says, at least they’re waiting for good news. She says, exactly, and she’ll only admit this to him, but she’s impatient. He says, her? Never. She says she wants to have this transplant as soon as possible. She wants to  be able to tell his family that she has leukemia, and her prognosis is good. He asks if that’s why she hasn’t told them yet, and she says, partly. Of course (🍷) the main reason is Wiley. She knows he’d pick up on everyone’s concern, and she doesn’t want him to be frightened. Some of it is self-protection; not wanting to see the fear in their eyes, not wanting them to have to strain to be normal around her. He says, she doesn’t want to tell them about the problem until the problem’s solved, and she wonders who that sounds like. He admits he does that too, but if keeping her diagnosis a secret from his family helped her, he’d be all for it, but he doesn’t want her to think she has to protect them. His mom, his sisters, the Quartermaines all love her, and they’re her family too. She says, even his father?

Nina tells Ava, it’s just a laboratory report. When Aunt Liesl cleaned out Britt’s office, she took a lot of sensitive documents. She’s going to sort through it, and separate Britt’s personal documents, and return the ones that belong to GH. Ava says she doesn’t have to do that now, and Nina says, Aunt Liesl is a wreck. She won’t eat; she’s having a hard time sleeping. Nina just wants to do whatever she can to ease her grief. Ava says she thinks it’s admirable that Nina wants to help, but it’s hard on her too. Doesn’t she want to take at least a minute? Nina says, yeah. It was nice reconnecting with Britt when she came back to Port Charles. She can’t believe Britt’s gone.

Michael says, Sonny can be Willow’s family if she wants, and she asks what he wants. He says, what he wants is the people he loves to stop pressuring him to reconcile. Not just her; it’s Dante, it’s Kristina, it’s Olivia, it’s Brook. He hates disappointing them. Most important, he hates disappointing her, but he’s not in a position to reconcile with Sonny right now. She asks, why not? and he says, because he would be lying; faking respect for a man that he doesn’t have. The man he grew up with, the man he grew up loving, never came back from Nixon Falls. This man is a hypocrite. Sonny couldn’t stand being around his mom, because when she looks at him, she sees him for what he’s not, and so does he. Willow takes his hand, and says, that must be really painful for his dad, to feel like he’s not the man he was. To know Michael and his mom, the people he respects the most, don’t respect him. She’s sure that’s why he’s still infatuated with Nina. She reflects back on him what he wants to see, and tells him what he wants to hear. He says he hopes they’re happy together, but she says, his father won’t be. Sonny needs him, and needs Michael to believe he can be who he was again. Michael says Sonny’s convinced he’s perfect the way he is, but Willow says, Michael knows better. And maybe, for the sake of the father he loved, Michael could have some compassion for the man Sonny used to be.

Alexis says, Nikolas slept with Esme? Not only is she crazy, she’s his son’s girlfriend. What’s wrong with him? He says he knows it was wrong. It was stupid and selfish. She says, ya think? and he asks her to spare him the lecture; he’s already heard it all from his mother. She asks if Ava knows, and he nods, saying, and Sonny. She wonders what he thinks she can add to this. Why doesn’t he tell her why he wants her to protect his baby? He says, Martin is making sure Esme is safe and stays out of jail the last few months of pregnancy. He’s concerned about after. He wants full custody of his child.

Finn checks Esme’s vitals, and says, it’s okay to question her. Jordan says, Esme is a person of interest in several cases. She understands Esme can’t remember anything, but she and Detective Falconari were hoping to jog her memory. Martin says, however, she doesn’t have to answer their questions, but Esme says, it’s okay. She wants to.

Elizabeth says she’s sorry about Britt, and Terry says, they made a really good team. The hospital won’t be the same without her. Elizabeth says, she really stepped up and became a really good Chief of Staff, and Terry says, professional respect turned into friendship, and she’s really going to miss Britt. Elizabeth says she’s there if Terry needs anything, and Terry says she has to go; her next appointment is here. She thanks Elizabeth for being a good friend, and dashes off.

Spencer says he already told Victor that he and his father’s relationship is damaged beyond repair, and Esme being pregnant with Nikolas’s kid makes that even worse. He’s not going to be in the same house with Nikolas, and needs Victor to understand. Victor tells him to get his things, and Spencer thanks him. Spencer goes upstairs, and Victor asks Sonny to take a seat. Sonny says, that’s fine, but thanks him. Victor says, they both care about Spencer’s future. He thinks they can help each other. Sonny says, not even if hell freezes over, and Victor says, this is as difficult for him as it is for Sonny. But he’s prepared to put his pride aside for Spencer’s sake. The big question is, is Sonny?

Nina says, Ava should have seen Britt at her party she threw for her birthday on New Year’s Eve. You never would have guessed it. Ava says, guessed what? and Nina says she guesses there’s no harm in telling Ava now. Britt had Huntington’s disease. Ava asks if that isn’t a neurological disorder, and Nina says, a really serious one; it’s genetic. Eventually, it would have killed her. Ava says she’s so sorry. That’s why she had her big party, huh? Nina says, it was a goodbye of sorts, wasn’t it? She just wishes she knew, so she could have told Britt how much she loved her. At least she got the big party she always wanted. It’s a small consolation that Esme is in police custody. Ava says, that Esme; she’s full of surprises. Turns out she’s pregnant with Nikolas’s baby. Nina says, what? She has no idea how Ava must be feeling. Ava says they’re not talking about her, they’re talking about Nina right now, but Nina says, they’re here to support each other. Ava says she’s so angry with Nikolas, she doesn’t think there’s a word to describe how mad she is. Nina asks what she’s going to do, and Ava says she’s going to take Nina’s advice. She’s going to get this divorce over with as quickly as possible. Nina says, good for her. So she’s given up this idea of revenge? Ava says, no, not exactly. And if she pulls off this coup as expected, there could be a reward in it for Nina too.

Willow tells Terry that she’s sorry about Dr. Westbourne. She was an excellent doctor; caring and compassionate. Michael says, it must be especially hard on Terry, but Terry says, Dr. Westbourne always kept focused on her patients. Terry knows if she was still here, she would tell Terry to get down to business. They’ll start with Willow’s recent bloodwork. Unfortunately, her numbers aren’t where they want them. Her red blood cell count is actually a bit lower before she had chemo. The chemo hasn’t had the effect they’d hoped. Willow asks, what about the baby? and Terry says, she transferred Willow’s case to Dr. Navarro. According to Willow’s latest labs and ultrasound, her baby is healthy. Her daughter is strong. She’s going to have to be for what’s next. They all will. Are they ready? Michael takes Willow’s hand.

Nina says, now Ava has her attention. How does Ava’s revenge on Nikolas reward her? Ava says she’s moving out. She had a very productive meeting with Victor last night, and she thinks he can give her what she wants. Nina says, which is what? and Ava says, Windymere. Spoon Island. The whole enchilada. Nina says, Ava is going to take Nikolas’s home? and Ava says, it’s her home too. And after all loverboy has done, she’s going to get her pound of flesh, every single acre of it. Nina asks what makes her think Nikolas or Victor would agree to that? and Ava says she doesn’t know what recourse they have, considering her leverage; infidelities, children out of wedlock… Ava flashes back to filming Nikolas confessing to killing Esme, and says she’s going to get Windymere. Nina says, so she’s leaving? and Ava says she thought Nina would be happy to get rid of her. Nina says she sort of got used to having Ava around, and Ava asks if Nina is going to miss her. Nina says, God help her, she thinks she is, and Ava says, if someone had told her some time ago that she’d hear Nina say those words, she’d have never believed it. And if they’d told her that she’d feel the same way, she’d have slapped them silly. Nina says, and here we are, and puts her hand on Ava’s.

Sonny tells Victor, it’s got nothing to do with pride. The only reason he’s here is because of Spencer. If Victor needs to say something, say it. Victor says he came back to Port Charles with one goal; to reunite his family. Since Sonny is a family man himself, he must understand how important it is for him to strengthen his family against all threats. He’s done everything he can to bridge this chasm between Nikolas and Spencer; try to show them how important it is to have a good father/ son relationship. But he’s just hoping where he failed, Sonny might succeed. Spencer looks up to Sonny and listens to him. Use his influence to convince Spencer that it’s in his best interest to repair the relationship with his father. Sonny wonders if Victor is asking a favor from him after what he’s done, but Victor says, not for himself; for Spencer. Sonny asks if Victor thinks it’s in Spencer’s best interest to be around his father. There was a time Sonny was disappointed in Spencer. He was stalking Ava, but he was a kid. He was angry and hurt, and he lashed out. Nikolas does not have an excuse. He’s had every opportunity to be a father to his son, and he hasn’t done it. Victor says he doesn’t disagree with Sonny. Nikolas seems incapable of repairing the trust of his son, but he does know Nikolas loves Spencer. Does he deserve to be cut out of Spencer’s life? Can Sonny honestly endorse that give the state of affairs between Sonny and his own son? Sonny tells Victor to watch himself. Keep Sonny’s family out of his mouth, or it will be the last time Victor ever says anything.

Alexis says she’s not becoming a part of taking a child away from its mother, and Nikolas asks if she’s going to leave his child at the tender mercies of Esme Prince because of her principles. She says, Sam was taken away from her by her father. She will not help another Cassadine take another child away from its mother no matter who she is. She knows Esme is awful. She doesn’t care. Esme is still a mother. He says, the baby is his too. Esme can’t have any part in raising them. She says, it’s not like he has a record of being a sterling parent, and he says he knows he’s far from perfect. He failed Spencer on every level, but he knows his mistakes. He won’t make them again, as long as he doesn’t have to deal with Esme’s poisonous influence. She can have no part in the raising of this child. Alexis says, this isn’t about protecting an unborn child. This is about Nikolas wanting to atone for his mistakes.

Dante shows Esme pictures of Cameron and Josslyn, and says, they were the victims of the revenge porn. He shows her a picture of Trina, and says, she was framed for the revenge porn. That guy here is Oz Haggerty. He accused Esme of drugging him, and was also one of the victims in The Hook attacks. Esme says she doesn’t recognize any of these people and doesn’t know why she would do such horrible things. She’s not a murderer. At least she doesn’t think she is. She can’t look at any more photos. Martin tells them to remember Esme is a young pregnant woman with traumatic memory loss. Unless they’re going to charge her with any of these heinous crimes, he’s afraid he’s going to have to pull the plug on this interrogation right now. Jordan says, they’ll be in touch, and she and Dante leave. Martin tells Esme not to worry. He knows how to set her free.

In the hallway, Dante tells Jordan, if Esme is faking it, it’s a hell of a performance. Jordan says, and if she’s not? and he says, it doesn’t really change anything. They still have evidence connecting her to the revenge porn, and the drugging and attempted murder of Oz Haggerty. Just because she doesn’t remember, doesn’t mean she’s innocent. Jordan says, and The Hook attacks? and Dante says he doesn’t think it’s her.

At the reception desk, Finn tells Elizabeth that he was just picking up a chart, and she says she could tell Terry appreciated him stepping in with the Esme situation. He asks how she’s doing. He can imagine how difficult this is, seeing Esme again. She says, it was certainly a shock, and he says, especially since she’s pregnant with Nik’s baby after Elizabeth miscarried. She says he doesn’t have to pretend to care, but he says he’s not pretending. He says he’d never do that with her. She’ll always be Violet’s aunt, and he’ll always care about her. Just because they didn’t work out doesn’t change the way he feels. He starts to leave, but she says, wait. There’s something she has to tell him… about Esme.

Jordan says, it’s too soon to drop Esme as a suspect in The Hook attacks, and Dante says, he knows, but it’s becoming less likely. The victims – Ava, Diane, and Oz – all have ties to Trina. The two outliners being Brando and the exotic animal dealer. Brando was following Josslyn outside when he was attacked. Jordan says, in the wrong place at the wrong time, and he says, and you got the exotic animal dealer probably hooking them up with the venom. She says, he was killed to shut him up, and Dante says, and in Esme’s condition, does Jordan really think she killed that guy, and jumped out the window before Dante got in the room? He just doesn’t see it. She asks, who else would be targeting Trina? and he suggests they look at it a different way. Maybe they can eliminate Esme as a suspect if they can figure out where she’s been hiding the last few months. At least we know who that poor anonymous dead guy was now.

Michael says, they always knew the bone marrow transplant was Willow’s best chance, so they’re ready to do what they can to beat this. Terry says, the match comes at a good time. She wants to schedule the transplant as soon as possible. Willow asks if it’s not possible that the  transplant could harm the baby, and  Terry says, complications have been known to arise. Given that Willow is eight months pregnant and the baby is healthy, she’d prefer Willow deliver before the procedure. Willow asks if being born premature could harm the baby, and Terry says, Dr. Navarro will have her a opinion, but plenty of babies are born prematurely safely and without complications. Willow has every reason to expect a positive outcome. As soon as she’s ready after delivery, they’ll do the transplant. She’ll give them some time to discuss. She leaves, and Michael says, the results weren’t what they were hoping for, but they’re blessed to have found a donor. Willow says she’s not so sure she can go through with it.

Nina tells Ava that she doesn’t have much family, and it seems to be getting smaller every day. Britt, Nelle, Jay (Nathan), and not being able to see Wiley… Didn’t she and Ava team up when she was losing the family she found with Valentin and Charlotte? Ava nods, and Nina says, they’ve been through a lot, and Nina’s grown to depend on Ava. Ava says she’s lost her fair share of family too. Nikolas was her family. That’s why it hurt so much when their marriage fell apart. Nina was there for her, and gave her a place to stay, so she wouldn’t be alone; a place where she had a friend to confide in. Ava starts to cry, and says, it means so much to her, and Nina says she hopes Ava gets everything she wants. You go get ‘em. And just so she knows, her room’s not going anywhere.

Nikolas tells Alexis, Spencer gave up on him, and he doesn’t blame Spencer. He made mistake after mistake. Alexis says, he slept with Spencer’s girlfriend, but he’s still Spencer’s father. Nikolas says, it doesn’t matter. When Spencer looks at him, he sees a cautionary tale. He’s not the man Spencer wants to be. In his eyes, the only way to prevent that is to sever all ties. He doesn’t even think Spencer’s wrong, but he has a responsibility to his unborn child to rectify the mistakes of his past. To give the unborn baby the life he could never give Spencer. She asks, what about his responsibility to Spencer? He keeps talking and focusing on this unborn baby. Has he given up on his relationship with Spencer, the son he already has?

Finn says, what about Esme? when Jordan and Dante come along, and Jordan asks if Elizabeth’s got a few minutes. Elizabeth asks if she can have a second, but Jordan says, it won’t take long. Elizabeth asks what Jordan needs from her, and Jordan says, a statement, about her and Esme Prince.

Victor says he remembers the news surrounding a rather contentious visitation battle Sonny’s son and Nina Reeves. He also knows Sonny and his father overcame their own differences toward the end of his life. He’s asking Sonny to use his own experiences to help give Spencer the same chance Sonny had with his father. Sonny says, in a relationship, both people have to want it, and be willing to work at it. Nikolas doesn’t want to work on it, and he doesn’t think Spencer wants it anyway. If Spencer changes his mind, it won’t be because of him. Victor says, we never have as much time as we want, and Sonny asks what that means. Spencer comes in, and says he’s ready. Sonny looks at his one bag, and asks if that all he’s got. Spencer says he bumped into Demetrius on his way up to the north tower. He said he’d be happy to send the rest of Spencer’s things. Victor says, the north tower is closed, but Spencer says he guesses not anymore. Demetrius went up the stairs after they were finished talking. Victor says he’ll make sure Spencer’s things are sent to him, and Spencer thanks him for understanding. He hopes he sees Victor around. Victor says, try to get rid of him, and Spencer says he doesn’t care what everyone says; he’s glad Victor is here. Victor says, so is he, and Spencer leaves with Sonny.

Elizabeth says she gave her statement after the attack, and Dante asks if she remembers if Esme was pregnant at all. Elizabeth says she was just about to tell Finn that she was surprised Esme was pregnant. She didn’t notice that night, and she’s sorry she can’t be more helpful. Dante says, of all the surviving victims, not one of them mentioned Esme was pregnant, and she would have been showing at the time. Elizabeth says, it was dark and she was wearing all black. It all happened fast, and once Elizabeth got hit in the head, it was fuzzy. She asks if Esme is still a suspect, and Jordan says, she’s a person of interest, but they have reason to think she’s not the killer. In reviewing Britt’s statement, she fought with the killer for several minutes, but she’s also an OB. It seems likely she would have noticed if the killer was pregnant, but she made no mention of it. They can’t rule Esme out as a suspect. Dante says, the real question is where has Esme been hiding? and Finn says, he has no idea about the why, but he has an idea of the where. He thinks they should start with Windymere.

Nikolas tells Alexis, Spencer is a grown man and makes his own decisions, but of course (🍷) he’ll be here for Spencer if he changes his mind. She says, so until then, what? He gets a do-over with this unborn baby? That’s not how it works. He doesn’t get to do that. A parent takes care of all their children. That’s his job. It might be impossible sometimes, but that’s his job. He says he hears her, but right now, he can’t do anything for Spencer, so he’s going to do everything he can for his unborn baby, and that includes protecting it from Esme. She’s dangerous. Does Alexis really think it’s in the best interest of this child to have Esme in its life? He loves this baby, and wants to do right by it. She says he’ll find him another attorney who can handle difficult custody cases, and he thanks her. She says, he can thank her by taking her advice. She gets up, and gathers up her things. She tells him, do not give up on Spencer, and leaves.

Michael tells Willow, it’s good news. The baby is going to be here sooner than expected. She’ll get the transplant, and recover from leukemia. She says she’s afraid to give birth early. What if something goes wrong? He says, she heard Terry. She wouldn’t have recommended early labor if she thought it would harm the baby. Terry comes back, and says, unfortunately, she has bad news.

Ava says, Nina isn’t going to be completely alone. She still has Sonny. Nina asks what Ava is going to do on that big pile of rocks by herself, and Ava says she has Avery, and is assuming Nina will pop in from time to time. Nina says she’ll tag along when Sonny comes to drop off and pick up Avery, and Ava laughs, saying, she just never imagined Nina would end up dating the father of her daughter. It’s just weird. Nina agrees, and says, life is funny, isn’t it? They laugh, when Sonny walks in. Ava says, he has his own key, and he says he guesses he’s special. Nina says, he is, and asks, where’s Spencer? Ava says, Spencer? and Sonny says, Spencer is going to be living with him for a while; he just dropped Spencer off at the penthouse. Nina asks how he’s doing, and Sonny says, between losing Britt, and cutting ties with his father, he’s not having the greatest day. Ava says she’s glad he has Sonny, and Sonny says he never thought he’d see the day when Ava felt bad for Spencer, but Ava says, Spencer apologized to her; a real sincere apology. Sonny says, good for him, and Ava says, one less person she has to evict from Windymere. She’s taking it from Nikolas in the divorce. Sonny laughs, and says, congratulations. Ava says, that reminds her. She has to call her lawyer. She goes into the other room, and Sonny asks how Nina is holding up. She says, not great. Spencer’s not the only one having a rough time of it. He asks if she’d like him to take care of her, and she asks him to hold her. She wants him to take care of her, but before that, she suggests two hot ciders with cinnamon sticks. She leaves to get them, and Sonny sits down, absently looking at the GH document on the table. He picks it up and looks closer.

Willow tells Terry they can handle it; tell them. Terry says, all bone marrow donors have to undergo a physical exam before donating. Their donor’s doctor didn’t clear her for the procedure.

Nina comes back, and says, as promised, two hot ciders with cinnamon sticks. He doesn’t look up, and she asks if everything is okay, but Sonny says, no.

Willow asks how it can be, and Terry says, sometimes patients have medical conditions that make them unable to donate that they weren’t aware they had before they entered the registry. That’s why they do the physicals. Michael asks where they go from here, and Terry says, they keep looking for a match. He says he knows they’re doing everything they can, and Willow says she wasn’t sure she wants to go into early labor, but Terry says, with Willow’s lab numbers, she’d like to prioritize this. Michael asks, what about other treatments? and Terry says, they have to consider them of course (🍷). Anything to give them time to find a new donor. Michael says, let him know if he can help. Any resources they need, don’t hesitate to ask. They’ll do everything in their power to give Willow the time she needs. They’re still in this fight. Terry says, absolutely.

Esme asks how Martin is going to set her free. The cops seem sure she did these terrible things. He says, the only evidence that ties her to the revenge porn or drugging the bartender is the testimony of a dead man. As for the murders, the police have a theory, and from a motivational standpoint, some of the victims don’t fit the pattern. And to be too indelicate but she’s very pregnant, and that casts serious doubt on whether she’s capable of attacking someone with a hook. She asks if he knows he knows how condescending he sounds, and he says, yeah, but don’t it take out on him; he’s a feminist. He’s just telling her what he knows. She asks what all this means, and he says, one thing for sure, if she had an alibi, he might be able to persuade the PCPD not to charge her. So it’s vital they figure out before the police do where she’s been hiding out all this time. She says, then she’d have an alibi, and he says, the key to her freedom.

Jordan says, they searched Windymere for Esme before, after Oz Haggerty’s testimony.  Finn says he thinks she’s hiding on the island. Maybe not at the house, but every time she’s been seen, it’s been near the pier where the launch comes from. And of all the places Esme spent time, she spent most of it on Spoon Island. It seems to be the best place to make it difficult for her to be detected, especially if everyone was focused on Windymere. Dante says, she was found on the Haunted Star, soaking wet. Maybe she was going to or from Windymere, and fell in the water. Jordan says, it’s certainly worth searching again for Esme’s presence on the island.

Nikolas walks in, and Victor says, just the person he wants to see. Nikolas says, they have a lot to discuss, and Victor says, they certainly do. Starting with what’s been going on in the north tower. Victor dangles a broken Christmas ornament from his finger.

Tomorrow, Spencer says, she needs to be held accountable; Victor wonders if the Cassadines would be better off if they cut their losses; and Sonny tells Nina, the fighting has to stop.

Below Deck

Rodney Bay, St Lucia. Camille screeches at Alissa to get out of the cabin she’s just walked into, and Alissa says she’s pulling the captain’s sheets (not a euphemism). She tells Camille to go cry in a different room; she’s working. In Alissa’s interview, she says she doesn’t know what’s going on, or what the captain said. Seeing Camille crying and upset makes her feel bad (which I find hard to believe), but she’s just trying to quietly get the sheets and slip out. Camille goes to be dramatic in her own cabin, then gets hugs from Ben in the laundry. She tells him that she needs tequila, not tickles. In a dual interview, Tony tells Ben that he heard noises above his bed, and heard Camille whispering, do you think Tony can hear us? Yes, he can, and if they want to have sex, he’ll walk away. Ben says, thanks, bro. Fraser tells Captain Sandy that he’s going to have Camille on early shift. He can be with her all day, so there’s no chance of animosity when he’s not around. The captain tells him, mad respect, and radios Ross and Rachel to join them for a preference sheet meeting.

The charter four primary is business owner Ben, being joined by wife Kamna and some closely knit friends. They want to smoke their hookah, and have cigars, and like their food spicey on a level seven out of ten. Ben also wants to surprise his wife with a birthday party, and have a Bollywood party on the last night. In Rachel’s interview, she says she studied in India. It’s going to be epic. Fraser says, they want a beach barbecue where the sand is light and soft. The captain tells them that they’re getting off the dock at ten, and the guests will arrive by boat at noon. In her interview, she says, it’s nice for the guests to arrive by boat. It feels like a James Bond arrival. Hayley says, they’re due some horrible guests, since they’ve all been nice, and she and Tony agree to manifest good guests all season. Everyone crashes early.

5 hours before charter. The boat is readied, and Captain Sandy says she’s proud of Camille, and asks Alissa if she’s proud. In Alissa’s interview, she says she sees that Camille is working harder, and it makes her almost hopeful Camille will get it together. Provisions come, and Rachel says she can write eat me in seven languages. The boat leaves the dock, and in Tony’s interview, he says, now that Camille is on interior, they don’t even notice. He thinks they’re fine. Fraser tells Camille to watch him, and see how he does things. There’s a reason for most things. Captain Sandy tells Ross that they’re clear to grab the guests. The guests are retrieved in the tender, and Camille greets them with champagne. Rachel talks in Hindi, and the guests are all, woo! Fraser gives the tour, and guest Vivek says he’s impressed, but not totally. You can tell he’s going to be a real pita. In Alissa’s interview, she says, the guests are already demanding and drinking like fish. These guests are going to rip their asses apart.

In her interview, Rachel says, today’s lunch is Mexican. The guests have a high spice level, and that means murder sauce. They’ll be screaming her name, but not in a sexual way. Camille sets the table with Fraser, and in Fraser’s interview, he says, Camille is working harder, and he’s appreciative. It takes a huge sense of responsibility in oneself to realize you’ve f***ed up and change your ways. He loves that about her. Ross and Ben discuss Tony being slow. The guests dance and drink, and yell for Captain Sandy, who joins them in a dance. In her interview, she says she can bust a move. She likes being a fun captain. The guests being to demand food, and in his interview, Fraser says, three days of this; he can’t. Ben and Camille sneak kisses, and the captain heads for the harbor where they pull anchor.

A couple of the guests wail that they’re starving, and in Rachel’s interview, she says, lunch is late, and she owns it. STFU. She’s in chef mode. Lunch is served, and guest Kamna says, the fish is dry. She was expecting a higher quality of food. It’s bland. Rachel comes up, and Kamna says she wanted it hot and spicy, but the food was bland for them. Rachel says she’ll add more heat, and in her interview, she says, they called her spicy bland. How dare you? But she’s been given carte blanch, which means she’s going to burn their a-holes off.

They go to the Pitons, and drop anchor at Soufriere Bay. The deck crew gets out the jet skis. In Katie’s interview, she says, her work relationship with Ross is amazing. She hasn’t had sex with him though, because he gets sloppy drunk, and hits on everyone. He can’t act like that and sleep with her. It would make her look like an idiot. Alissa asks if Camille checked the cabins, and in Alissa’s interview, she says she’s doing her job to the fullest, and begging Camille to do her job is like a slap in the face. Camille has the same attitude and work ethic, and it’s hard to manage someone who doesn’t want to be managed. Captain Sandy sees Camille in the crew mess, and says she’s proud of Camille turning it around. She didn’t want to fire Camille. Camille says she didn’t want to get fired, and the captain says, it’s not fun for her. Alissa tells Fraser that the guests are going to wear them down, and he says, she’s making mama proud. He tells the stews to get in their blacks, and the guests get in the hot tub. Ross wonders why Tony is getting up at 4 am if he doesn’t feel well, and Katie says Tony is crazy. In Rachel’s interview, she says, lunch did not go as planned. She has to make sure dinner goes off without a hitch. Fraser has a smoke break, and Alissa says she wants to forgive Camille, but he says he doesn’t think it’s about forgiveness. Positive reinforcement and a pat on the back brings them just one step further to a better season. Alissa thinks it’s great Camille is on mornings with Fraser, and in her interview, she says, Camille gives a great performance. When Fraser is there, she’s an angel, but when he’s gone, she flips the script. She gets away with a lot.

The stews put on flower crowns, and the crew sings Happy Birthday to Kamna. Ben says he’s the luckiest person in the world, and the guests toast to her. Kamna pronounces the pork to have a nice kick, but she’s not keen on the next course, and asks Fraser for a paper napkin to spit whatever into. Kamna wonders if she’s being mean if she says she’s had both the best and worst food she’s ever tasted here. In Fraser’s interview, he says, dealing with a chef is like handling fire. Feedback isn’t worth upsetting them. He’ll keep it between him, the guests, and the trashcan. Alissa tells Camille that the guests are making Fraser extra stressed, and in Hayley’s interview, she says, the guests have an issue with everything. That makes them d*ckheads. Kamna is excited for the picnic, and hopes the spot is beautiful. The guests bring out the hookah and the dudes smoke cigars. Alisson tells Ross that they’re smoking their cigars backwards, and in her interview, she says, it’s funny, but she’s trying not to laugh. At 2 am, the guests are still drinking, and some of them get weird and demanding at the bar. In Alisson’s interview, she says she doesn’t mind cleaning up after the guests, but when they start to be rude, she will literally wipe her ass on their pillow and put it back. Bitches need to go to bed. They finally do, at around 3:30 am.

Tony does his usual grunt and workout routine at 4 am. Fraser sees that Alisson wrote, the guests were rude, on the whiteboard. Ross approaches Tony about him not feeling well, and Tony says he has a sinus infection which causes a headache. Ross says he knows Tony loves working out, but maybe he shouldn’t get up at 4 am. Tony says, it’s his life; it’s what he does. No one moves faster than he does. Ross says, Tony’s strength is not unnoticed and it’s appreciated, but he just wonders if getting up an hour and a half before work is a good idea. Tony says, it’s what keeps him sane. If he doesn’t, it will be worse. Ross says he’s just having this chat so they can work together. Everyone is sharing the load. Tony says he understands, and will try his best. In his interview, he says, he’s part of a team, and doesn’t want to be the weak spot. He’s here because he wants to be here. Not many people from his country get an opportunity like this. Fraser tells Hayley that Alissa said the guests were rude, and Hayley says, they were horrible, and smoking their cigars the wrong way. Fraser says, clearly, they’re not experienced smokers. The guests want to get to the beach as early as they can, and Captain Sandy says she’s going to pop in the tender with Ross (again, not a euphemism). She wants to see the beaches for herself, and she wants to go for a boat ride. They drive around, and she sees a beach with trees and no people that she thinks is amazing.

Unfortunately, up close, the beach isn’t so amazing, and also gets more crowded. Guest Rahul announces there will be shots on the tender. Having gone ahead to set up, Fraser sees a load of rubbish on the beach. In his interview, he says, all he sees are bottle caps and rocks. His lane doesn’t merge with the captain’s lane. He’s going to have to figure it out, and put a sh*tload of lipstick on one hell of a pig. Alisson says, it smells like animal poo. The guests head for the beach in the tender, and Fraser waves from the boat, saying, what a horrible group of people. No surprise, Kamna says she hates this beach; it’s rocky. The sand isn’t soft, but she does like the view. A dog wanders over, and Rachel says she’s going to put him on service. Vivek says, the food is good, but he’s not impressed with the water. It looks like backwater. They wanted a secluded spot, but it’s not. It looks like a rundown campground. He’s nasty, but he’s not wrong.

The crew starts to clean up, as the guests do a last shot in the water around a floating bar. Camille swims around them, and Alisson calls Fraser to tell him that they’re ready to come back. Tony radios that there are clothes in the master that need to be ironed. The guests talk about the upcoming Bollywood party, and how they’re going to rock their socks off. Alisson gripes to Fraser about Camille, and in Fraser’s interview, he says Alisson and Camille don’t get along. He doesn’t know what’s happening when he’s not there, and doesn’t know whose side to take, so he’s not taking a side. Interior decorates for the Bollywood party, and Kamna tells the captain that the food and service were good, but the beach was too rocky. Captain Sandy says, they can’t control that, since they don’t really have sandy beaches there. Ben and Camille linger at the too rocky beach, taking in the sunset. Fraser says, they never should have been left together. In Ben’s interview, he says, it’s all happening quick. This is turning into a relationship rather than a fling. In Camille’s interview, she says she likes Ben, but he lives in Australia. It’s not realistic to think they can carry on, but at this moment, she’ll keep it at she likes him. In his interview, Ben says he’s falling hard right now. They kiss on the beach.

Hayley tells Camille, welcome back to her job, and Camille says, not right this minute. Alisson tries to tell her that ironing in the master needs to be done, but Camille blows her off too. Captain Sandy tells Rachel that she was suffering with taking a cold shower every night, and realized she was turning the handle the wrong way, since it’s backward. Alisson asks what Camille has a tude about, and tries to draw Hayley in, but in Hayley’s interview, she says, don’t involve her. Alissa suggests they ask the captain, and Camille says, Alissa is being childish. Alissa says, Camille was childish with Hayley, and Camille tells her, all she did was say, give her a minute. Hayley suggests they move on from this, pointing out there are guests nearby. Camille says, Alissa is tarnishing who she is, because Alissa wants to believe Camille’s someone she’s not. Alisson has a problem with her for no reason. Alisson says, this is why Camille is on her last leg with the captain, and the captain had to speak with her. One of the guests – I think that pita guy – wonders if there’s anything they won’t do. Captain Sandy jets over to Alissa and Camille, and tells them, stop. This is insane. In the captain’s interview, she says, screaming at each other during charter is not okay. There’s zero tolerance. She tells them to compose themselves, and Camille says she’s done.

Take a break with me tomorrow for soap and tea. Until then, stay safe, stay taking it one day at a time (it’s not just for alcoholics), and stay not having an issue with everything when you’re on a private yacht. It makes you a d*ckhead.
