What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Curtis knocks on Jordan’s office door, and she asks what she can do for him. He says, she can check the joyfully accept box, handing her an envelope. He came to invite her to their wedding.

At the hospital, Portia hugs Stella, and asks how her follow-up went. Stella says, just like all the others. She doesn’t understand why she needs to be poked and prodded every few months. Can’t they see she’s her old self again? Portia asks who she’s calling old, when Marshall joins them, telling Stella that she left her purse in the exam room. Stella snatches her purse from him, saying, she didn’t leave it. She was just giving him something to do. Portia says, just the man she wanted to talk to. Has he given any more thought to what they discussed on Thanksgiving? Stella asks what she missed, and Marshall says, nothing. He tries to leave, but Stella grabs his arm, and says she’s not going anywhere. Somebody better start talking now. Portia says she suggested Marshall might want to get some genetic counseling.

Trina walks with Ava through the Christmas bizarre in Rice Plaza, and thanks Ava for talking Curtis into letting her ditch house arrest. Ava says, Trina’s not under house arrest, but Trina says, it sure feels that way sometimes. Ava says, Curtis just wants to keep her safe; they all do. But it’s broad daylight in a public place, she has a gun in her purse. She has a permit and knows how to use it. Enough about security though. Let’s get into the holiday spirit. They look at a table with Christmas decorations, and Trina asks how many gifts Ava has gotten for Avery. Ava says, probably too many, but she loves spoiling her little girl. This is nice, isn’t it? Spending time together? Trina says she misses seeing Ava every day at the gallery, but Ava says, not any more than she misses seeing Trina. She sees Rory, and tells Trina that she has some competition. Someone else who covets Trina’s time and attention.

Cyrus finds Spencer reading a book in the library, and says, you woudn’t know it, but outside these walls, it’s Christmastime with all the magic and merriment it entails. Spencer tells him, if he says so, and Cyrus says, it’s not lost on him that Spencer’s been keeping his distance ever since his great uncle’s visit. Spencer says, how perceptive. Would he like a prize? Cyrus says, what he’d like is some common sense on Spencer’s part. Tell him that he’s realized which side of his family he can trust.

Victor checks out some Christmas things at Rice Plaza, while Ashby does the same nearby. She says, happy holidays, and he asks if she has something for him. She says, her intel informs her that Holly Sutton has a long recovery, and he says, and the necklace? She says, the authorities still believe it was destroyed in the fire, and he says, unacceptable, squishing the ornament in his hand. You break it, you buy it, Victor.

Heather goes into the rec room at Spring Ridge, and says she thought the guard told her that she had a visitor. Jeff comes in, and says, hello, Heather. Long time, no see.

Alexis sees Finn at the Plaza, and he says, yay or nay for Violet’s stocking? showing her a package of ornaments. She says, yay. Look at him, all Christmassy. He used to be all bah humbuggy. He tells her, Violet changed everything… for the better. She says, that’s what kids do, and significant others do. He holds up an ornament, and says, too blingy? She says, he’s too blingy. Is this his way of avoiding her advice that he should talk to Elizabeth?

Nikolas thanks Elizabeth for coming so quickly, and unlocks Esme’s room. She asks if Esme is faking again, and he says he doesn’t think so, but Elizabeth is the professional. Elizabeth goes over to Esme, who’s lying on the bed with her eyes closed, and asks, what’s wrong with her? Has she been given any meds? He says, just the prenatal vitamins Elizabeth brought her, and she asks if she can see them. He picks up the empty bottle, and she says, those were supposed to last a month. He asks if she’s suggesting Esme took all of them, and Elizabeth digs in her medical bag.

Jordan says, Curtis didn’t have to include her, but he says, we wanted to. They discussed it, and it just feels right having her there. She asks, why? and he says, because she’s important to him, and she’s TJ’s mother. TJ is like family, which makes her like family, and she knows he throws a mean party. She says, he always has, and he says, hopefully, she’ll have caught The Hook killer by then, and everyone in Port Charles can breathe easy. She says, he sounds confident, and he says, after that recent article in The Invader, it’s only a matter of time now, right? She says, not necessarily. Alexis and her paper might have hurt their investigation, not helped it.

Nikolas says, you can overdose on vitamins? and Elizabeth says, you can overdose on pretty much anything. They need to pump her stomach immediately. Esme pops up, and asks if Elizabeth is insane. She jumps out of bed, and Elizabeth says, this little routine of hers is getting pretty old. She should try some new material. Nikolas asks if Esme believed they’d fall for another fake out, and Esme says, but he did. He even called his Florence Nightingale here. She starts stuffing her face with the meal he’s brought up, and he says, excuse him for caring about his child. Esme says, our child, and was Elizabeth seriously going to pump her stomach to force her to come clean? Elizabeth says, if she had to, but she knew it wouldn’t get that far, and Esme says, Elizabeth is sick. Elizabeth says, look who’s talking, and Nikolas says, so Esme didn’t take all of those pills? Talking with her mouth full, Esme says, she took one, and threw the rest away, and Elizabeth says, Esme actually took a prenatal vitamin? Esme says, Elizabeth told her it was good for the development or whatever, and Elizabeth says, don’t look now, but Nikolas might not be the only one who cares about this baby.

Spencer says he appreciates all the help Cyrus has given him, but he’s out of line suggesting his Uncle Victor tried to kill his grandmother. That’s just… no. Cyrus says, Spencer would be wise not to put his faith in his great uncle, and Spencer says, so he should put his faith in Cyrus instead? but Cyrus says he was referring to a higher power. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Spencer says, doing his time in here will set him free, not the truth. And by the way, for a guy who quotes Scripture, Cyrus is quick to sit in judgement of his uncle. Cyrus says, believe him, he didn’t accuse Victor of anything new, but Spencer says, that doesn’t make him guilty. Cyrus says, it doesn’t make him innocent either, and Spencer says, that’s for a jury to decide, just like they did with Cyrus. By the way, there’s a glaring difference between Cyrus and his Uncle Victor. Victor is on the outside, while Cyrus is stuck in here. Cyrus says, my dear Spencer, the difference is, I am a sinner seeking redemption, while your uncle wouldn’t know the meaning of the word.

Ashby says, Victor is brimming with holiday cheer, and he says, the necklace may be a dead end, but his plans are still very much alive. She asks if he has another angle, and he says, always. She asks if he cares to fill her in, and he says, in due time. Her job is to keep Laura distracted, and his family intact. Did she pull the necessary strings? She says she’s working on it, and he says, work harder.

Ava says she’ll leave Rory and Trina to catch up, but Trina says, Ava doesn’t have to go. Ava says she saw an ornament that caught her eye. She wants to snap it up before someone else does. She says, it’s nice to see Rory, he says, her too, and she leaves. Rory gives Trina a quick kiss, and asks if she’s free for dinner tonight. Cops know the best places to eat. It’s a documented fact. He wants to take her someplace special for their anniversary. Three months ago today, they became official.

Ava glances over, and smiles. She sees Victor next to her, and he says, it’s true what they say; love is wasted on the young. Woudn’t she agree?

Spencer says his history isn’t exactly spotless, and Cyrus says, no one’s is. Spencer says, but people can change, right? That’s what redemption’s about. Cyrus says, before redemption comes repentance. Is Victor prone to asking for forgiveness? They both laugh, and Cyrus says he didn’t think so. And then, there’s us. Putting in the work, trying to make amends for our mistakes. That’s a bond even stronger than blood. But they have both, and he truly hopes that bond continues when Spencer is released. And when that day comes – he reaches in his pocket – there’s something he wants Spencer to take with him. Consider it an early Christmas present. He slides a small white box across the table to Spencer.

Ava tells Victor that she disagrees. True love is a gift, no matter when you find it. No matter how hard certain people try to take it from you. He’s never experienced a love like that, has he? He picks up a pair of goofy glasses from the table and looks through them, saying, hope springs eternal. And when she’s free from that dysfunctional marriage to his nephew, who knows? Maybe there will be hope for them.

Jordan holds a bunch of letters, and tells Curtis, each of these claims to have been written by the killer. So now she’s wasting valuable time and manpower chasing every one, even though they basically know they’re all bogus. He says he gets the frustration, although he believes when Alexis printed that letter, she only had good intentions. Jordan says, she interfered with a confidential investigation. Yes, they have a theory that points toward Esme Prince, but if Alexis takes it upon herself to decide what to leak and when, that just makes it harder for them. Curtis says, a theory. A legitimate one with actual evidence? Jordan says nothing and goes back to her desk, and he says, his soon-to-be stepdaughter’s life may be at risk here. if she has a way to end this nightmare, he needs to know about it.

Alexis asks why Finn is avoiding her question, and he says, they already discussed this. She says she wants to discuss it again, so let’s rehash. The last time they talked, he was upset about his late wife cheating on him. He says, and that’s pretty much the end of the story, but she says, is it? He says, look around. This isn’t really the time or place for this. She asks what he’s afraid of, and he says, who’s afraid? She asks if there’s another reason he’s not talking to Elizabeth, and he says, off the record? She tells him, everything they say is off the record, and he says, the man that Reiko slept with was Elizabeth’s father.

Heather asks if Jeff flew all this way to see her, and he says he won’t lie to her. She says, really? Why turn over a new leaf at this late date? He says he’s definitely not interested in dredging up the past, and she says, a past that includes their son, Stephen Lars. Or is he still more invested in saving the world than in his own family? He says he woudn’t be here if he wasn’t invested in his family, and she says, he thinks of her as family? He says, never. He came to tell her to stay the hell away from his.

Esme tells Elizabeth, of course (🍷) she cares about the baby. It’s the only thing stopping this maniac from killing her. Nikolas tells Elizabeth not to listen to her, and Esme says, remember what she told Elizabeth when she first came here? Elizabeth says, that Nikolas tried to kill her? She didn’t believe it then, and still doesn’t. Continuing to shovel in food, Esme asks why she’s make that up, and Nikolas says, because she’s a desperate criminal who’s willing to say or do anything to continue her reign of terror, but Esme says, for the last time, she is not The Hook. She looks at Elizabeth, and says, Elizabeth is starting to wonder. Why wouldn’t she? She’s curious to see what her friend is capable of. Go on. Ask him. Ask Nikolas what happened on the parapet that night. She, for one, can’t wait to hear the answer. Nikolas says, no one has any interest in her lies, and Esme says, but they’re not lies. She tells Elizabeth, think about it. How did she manage to disappear; just vanish into thin air. She looks at Nikolas and says, but it wasn’t exactly her choice, was it? Thanks to him and Ava… He says, leave Ava out of this, and Esme says, so protective. Elizabeth asks what Ava has to do with anything, and Nikolas says, she doesn’t, and Esme says, who’s the liar now? as she munches a piece of toast.

Finn  tells Alexis, it was a lifetime ago. They were in Doctors Without Borders, and assigned to different islands in the South Pacific. He guesses Reiko got lonely and Jeff Webber was there. She says, got it. She’s sure it was very disappointing, and she’s not trying to minimize it, but like he said, it was a lifetime ago, so doesn’t he think he should have gotten past that by now? He says, there’s more to it than just the affair, but it’s not his story to tell, and she says, so it’s Elizabeth’s story. He says, it’s new to her, and she’s understandably having trouble processing her feelings, and Alexis says, she probably has lots of feelings. He says, confusion, pain, anger… She says, but not at him, and he says, mostly at the situation, but they haven’t connected in weeks, and at some point, he stopped trying. She asks why he would do that, and he says, what if there’s no point? She asks if he loves Elizabeth, and he nods. She says, that’s the point. If he stays in his corner, and she stays in her corner, it will just drive them further apart.

Heather says, here she thought Jeff missed her, but he tells her, knock it off. And don’t pretend she didn’t try to contact his family. Making a beeline for his grandson when she had her big chance to escape. She says, he works at Kelly’s, home of the famous BLT. They don’t write that on the menu, but they should; it’s to die for. He says, stay away from Cameron, and she asks where this newfound concern is coming from. Last she checked, he didn’t give a damn about his grandsons, or their mother. He says, she doesn’t know what she’s talking about, and she asks if he was there when Elizabeth married her Franco. Was he there when for her when he died? No. He loves the idea of being a family man, but when it comes to stepping up and doing the right thing, he cuts and runs. They see Ryan being wheeled in, and he says, is that… She says, the one and only.

Jordan says, Curtis knows she can’t share privileged in formation, and he says, even if it could bring a murderous criminal to justice? Trina is exhausted. She’s constantly looking over her shoulder. It’s just too much for her, and he’s not even going to touch on what it’s been like for Portia. She says, and him? and he says, it’s true Trina’s not his biologically, but to him it feels like she is. Does that make any sense? She says, it does, and he says, then help him protect his family, but she says she can’t.

Portia says, so much has changed since Marshall was diagnosed with schizophrenia. She just doesn’t see the harm in getting some current genetic testing done. Stella asks if she’s implying Marshall’s diagnosis is wrong, and Portia says she’s sure the doctors drew on the best knowledge they had at the time, but there could be other factors that are involved. Stella asks, what kind of factors? and Marshall says he’s standing right here. Stella tells him, and not saying a damn thing, and he says, as if he could get a word in edgewise. He doesn’t need reevaluation; he knows what’s wrong with him. He spent his life ensuring it wouldn’t harm his family. Portia says she understands, but… He says, no buts. He’s at peace with his condition. Can she please drop this?

Ava tells Victor, her marriage to Nikolas, as complicated as it may be, hasn’t ended yet, despite his best efforts. They know that Esme is alive, and the prime suspect in The Hook attacks, which makes Nikolas’s bogus confession useless. So what will Victor hold over his nephew’s head now? Victor says, perhaps they should put their heads together, and come up with a plan, but she says she’ll pass. He says, besides, something tells him that he won’t need to coerce Nikolas into a divorce. He gets the distinct impression Nikolas is more than ready to move on.

Esme tells Nikolas, don’t be shy. Tell Elizabeth how he and Ava thought they were rid of her forever, until he discovered she was carrying the heir to the throne. Elizabeth asks what she’s talking about, and Nikolas pulls her aside, and tells her that he’ll explain everything, but right now Esme needs more of those vitamins. Can she go back to GH and get some? She says, he’s trying to get rid of her, but he says he’s just thinking of what’s best for the baby. And right now he’s seeing an opening of Esme actually showing maternal instinct. He wants to jump on it before it closes. Elizabeth says, this conversation is not finished, and he says he’s well aware. Elizabeth leaves, and Nikolas tells Esme, that was a mistake.

Ava tells Victor, that was an excellent attempt to poison the well, but she doesn’t do jealous, and he says he imagines a woman like her wouldn’t have to. But don’t forget Nikolas is a human being with needs and desires of his own. Until next time. She says, bated breath, and he leaves. As he passes Ashby, she says, the favor she called in has been handled, and he keeps walking.

Trina tells Rory that she totally forgot; it has been three months. He came into her life at the craziest time. She can’t believe he hasn’t run for the hills. He says he might have been a rookie, but he knew she’d been framed, and she thanks him for always believing in her. He says, always. He’s got to get back to the station. He’ll see her tonight. He’ll text her the details. He leaves, and Ava joins her. She says, about that young man of Trina’s… Trina says she knows Rory’s not an art lover, and he hasn’t seen the world, or studied abroad… Ava says, who cares? She envies Trina.

Spencer says he doesn’t feel comfortable accepting gifts from Cyrus, but Cyrus says, he misunderstands The gift is for Spencer’s friend Trina. He opens the box, showing Spencer two silver doves, and says, he thought twelve drummers drumming would be overkill. This is more appropriate. Spencer keeps one for himself, and Trina takes one as a token of Spencer’s affection. Spencer says, Trina would love these, but he can’t give them to her, and Cyrus says, of course (🍷) he can. Spencer says, Cyrus doesn’t get it. Trina finally has her life back; the life she deserves. Cyrus says, a life without Spencer, and Spencer says, all he brought Trina was pain and heartache, so the best gift he can give her is to stay as far away from her as possible.

Curtis says, here we go again. This is the exact damn reason he and Jordan got a divorce in the first place; she insists on keeping secrets from him. She says, that’s not fair. They’re talking about a police investigation. He was a cop. He knows how this works. He says, he also knows how willing she is to break the rules and cross the lines, but clearly only when it suits her. She tells him, listen to her. She’s just as anxious to protect Trina and everyone in her world as he is. He says, if she means that, then throw him a bone, but she says she’s sorry. He says, so is he.

Finn says, it’s not just the past that’s an issue, and Alexis says, what else? He says he read the account in The Invader about Esme attacking Elizabeth on the pier. It didn’t mention what she was doing there. Alexis says she doesn’t know; they weren’t given that information. He says, off the record again, she was going to visit Nikolas Cassadine. It’s not a jealousy thing; he just doesn’t trust Nikolas after what he did to Hayden. He wanted to kill Nikolas, but if Elizabeth wants to be friends with him, it’s her choice. But he has to admit it bothers him that instead of coming to him, she went to Nikolas. Alexis makes a face, and he says, what? She says, now they know why Elizabeth was on the pier, but why was Esme on the pier? Was she targeting Elizabeth, or was Elizabeth just in the wrong place at the wrong time? He says, any more questions? and she says, yeah. Where’s Esme now?

Esme says, Nikolas doesn’t scare her; he can’t. Not with this little bundle of joy as her insurance policy. She cradles her bump, and he says, for now. But once that baby is born… She says, spare her the threats. She’s already planted the seed with Elizabeth. He says, Elizabeth is loyal to him, and she says, we’ll see. Her bet is that Elizabeth is too dedicated of a nurse to let him get away with attempted murder. And when things start to unravel, and the police get involved, Nikolas is going down, and taking Ava with him. Maybe even Nurse Nightingale too. He asks what she wants, and she says she thought he’d never ask. It’ll be Christmas soon, and she’s missing out on all of it. The music, the decorations, magic. She can’t even see out the window, and it’s not very festive in here. He says he’ll bring her some candy canes, but she says, no. She wants a tree, with lights and ornaments; the whole deal. He says he’ll have Demetrius bring her a fake one, pre-decorated, but she says, no. She wants a live tree, and wants to pick it out herself. He says, not a chance, and she says, why not? He wonders if that’s an actual question, and she says, it’s not like she can make a run for it anymore. Please? He says, no, and she says, this is really important to her. He says he almost believes she meant that, and she says, her childhood was lonely. She was adopted, but not parented. Her nanny was basically paid to raise her. Christmas was a non-event in her house. She did have one friend whose family had a tradition of chopping down their own tree and bringing it home to decorate. It sounded like heaven. She begged her nanny to do the same thing, and she said yes, but then she slipped and fell, and wasn’t able to take her. Her nanny asked the super’s son to do it. They picked out the tree, and he even let her use the saw. They decorated it together, and it was the best afternoon of her life. She can’t tell him how much it meant to her. Those few hours actually changed her. All she’s asking is for a chance to feel that way again. Please? He gathers up the breakfast dishes, and leaves. She says, is that a yes? and hears the door lock. I fail to see, under any circumstances, why he’d trust Esme with anything sharp.

Ryan looks at Heather, and Jeff tells her, steer clear of his family. No Christmas cards, no fruitcakes, no surprise visits like the one she gave Cameron. Are they clear? She doesn’t say anything, and he says he’ll take that as a yes. Enjoy her time here. He gets up, and she grabs his arm, saying, she knows it’s difficult being married to a shrink. They can just turn it off, can’t they? So if he’s ever in need of some holiday cheer, he knows where to find her. She runs her hand up his arm, and he says, she hasn’t changed a bit. As he walks out, and she says, they even have eggnog, and she looks at Ryan, who’s stoic.

Trina says, Ava envies her? and Ava asks if that’s so hard to believe. Trina laughs, and says, she’s Ava Jerome. She’s beautiful, powerful, and successful. She has everything. Ava says, trust her; everything is highly overrated. She’d settle for a guy like Trina has. Somebody trustworthy, dependable; a guy who tells you how he feels. Trina says, Rory is the greatest, and Ava says, uh-oh. What is this? Trina says, no, he is. He really is. So why can’t she forget about Spencer?

Cyrus asks if Spencer has heard the parable about the Prodigal Son, and Spencer says, refresh his memory. Cyrus says, he runs away from home, and squanders both his fortune and his good name. Then comes crawling back, expecting to be rejected. Spencer says, he wasn’t? and Cyrus says, he was embraced, celebrated. He was dead, and now he’s alive again. He was lost and now he’s found. Just take the gift – he puts the box in Spencer’s hand – and follow your heart. Victor walks in, and frowns.

Jordan says she wishes she could help Curtis, but he says, she doesn’t She can, and she just won’t. There’s a knock at the door, and Rory says, sorry to interrupt. She wanted a report on the security at Rice Plaza. Curtis says he was just leaving, and tells Jordan, don’t forget to RSVP. He leaves, and in the hallway, he takes out his phone.

Alexis tells Finn, it’s like a jigsaw puzzle without all the pieces. If Esme’s the killer, why didn’t she just finish Elizabeth off? He tells her, Elizabeth said she called the cops before her fall. Maybe if Esme thought the cops were on their way, it makes sense she would run. Alexis says, but to where? It’s not like she’s out hooking people in broad daylight. Wherever she is, she’s staying low to the ground. Her phone dings, and he says, Invader business? She says, yep, and he tells her, why doesn’t she deal with that. She just gave him an idea. She says she loves it when she does that, and he says, there’s another piece of the puzzle they overlooked. He thanks her, and jets.

Portia says she just wants what’s best for Marshall, and Stella suggests she abide by Marshall’s wishes, and just forget genetic counseling. Instead, in this season of miracles, focus on a few of their own. Marshall asks what miracles those would be, and Stella says, his return for starters. Her continued good health – he says, amen – Portia and Curtis’s upcoming wedding – Portia says, yes – and the blessing that Trina is safe. Marshall says, they do have a lot to be thankful for, and Stella says, let’s put our energy into that. The elevator comes, and Stella and Marshall get in, Marshall locking eyes with Portia before he does.

Spencer says he didn’t expect to see Victor today, and Victor hopes it’s a pleasant surprise. Cyrus says he’ll leave them to their visit, but Victor says, do stay. He has some news about his great nephew’s future.

Ava tells Trina, Spencer’s release is weeks away; a lot can change before then. Want to know what she thinks? Trina says, please, and Ava says, there’s something she wishes she’d learned long ago, long before she met Nikolas Cassadine. Complicated men create chaos. Maybe it’s best if they avoid them altogether.

Rory says, all that’s left is for Jordan to sign off on the plans for Christmas Eve. She seems engrossed in a folder, and he says, Commissioner? She says, sorry. Of course (🍷). Leave the report, and she’ll look it over. He leaves, and she picks up the invitation. She opens the RSVP, and writes on it. We see she regretfully declines.

Alexis joins Curtis at the PC Grill, and he thanks her for meeting him. He asks if he can get her something, and she says, a club soda, but there’s no hurry. Why did he want to meet her? He says he’s trying to catch a killer, and she says, that makes two of them. He says he just left Jordan at the PCPD, and it’s clear they know more about those attacks than they’re admitting. Maybe much more. She asks how they find out what that is.

Elizabeth walks into the hospital, and sees Jeff. He walks toward her, then stops. They stare at each other.

As she’s walking out, Heather asks if Ryan enjoyed the show. If he could speak, she imagines they’d have a lot to discuss. She leaves with the guard, and Ryan clenches his fist.

Ryan puts his hand on Esme’s shoulder, and says, a winter stroll to pick out a Christmas tree? What’s she planning? She says, don’t worry, daddy. I know exactly what I’m doing. She removes his hand, and she’s alone.

Nikolas puts down the empty vitamin bottle, when there’s a knock at the door. He opens it, and Finn is there.

Tomorrow, Felicia tells Robert that she thinks there’s one way to narrow it down; Sam thinks something is a great idea; Victor asks if Cyrus is threatening him; and Finn asks Nikolas, where’s Esme Prince?

💎 For Your Information…

It was over a year ago when some of the characters were complaining about how cold it was in July. I thought it must be the Ice Princess then, but they never got back to that. Although, I’m still waiting to hear what that teapot was all about in the painting Helena left Nikolas, and that was like a decade ago.

This is actually a good idea. As long as he comes back.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Alexis brings Sonny a gift for the baby, a sippy cup that says Corinthos Coffee. He tells her Carly will love it. She asks how Carly and Donna are doing, and he says, great. They’re just waiting to get the all clear to bring Donna home. Alexis gets a text from Julian that he needs to see her asap. It’s about her client. She says, that’s great news; it should take the edge off. Sonny says, the edge off what?

At Charlie’s, Brad gives Julian a new welcome mat, saying it’s more of a welcome back mat, since he’s not leaving. A fresh start. Brad says now that he’s not leaving, Julian will be able to be around Lucas and Wiley all the time. Julian says, there is that. Brad says since he’ll be there, Julian can help out when problems arise. Julian asks what problem has arisen. Obrecht again? Brad says, no. Nelle.

At Crimson, Sasha packs up her stuff. Michael asks if she’s got everything. She nods, saying, it’s just a few odds and ends; her notepads with her name on them. Nina was so great to her. Caring for her as a real daughter, bringing her into Crimson to start a career. Now her life is as random as what’s in the box. Michael tells her she’s strong and she’ll get her footing again. She says, just without Nina. She looks at a picture of the two of them.

Valentin tells Nina that he was worried. She asks if Charlotte is there, and he says, she’s with Lulu. Nina says, good. She’s just there to pick up a few things to tide her over, and she’ll be on her way. He asks where she’s going, and she says, anywhere but here. It’s none of his business anymore, where she goes or with whom. He says, the hell it isn’t.

Sasha asks Michael if he thinks she should leave a note, and he says it’s her call. She guesses not. Nina would just tear up anything that she left. She can’t stand how much she hurt Nina, but Nina isn’t ready to hear anything she has to say. Lucy blows in, and says Sasha is just the person she’s looking for. Sasha says she’s on her way out, but Lucy says, no. She made Sasha a once in a lifetime offer, and she keeps saying she wants to think about it. Michael says they have to go, but Lucy says they can, as soon as Sasha answers her question. Is she going to be the new face of Deception or not? Sasha says she’s way ahead of Lucy.

Valentin tells Nina, whatever happens, he’s still the man who loves her. He’s still the man who would lay down his life for her. She says, the man who would manufacture a daughter for her? He understands why she’s angry. Yesterday was a tumultuous ride for both of them. She says, it wasn’t a ride; it was a betrayal of everything she believed in. He says Sasha’s lies were reprehensible, but they were Sasha’s lies. She asks if he thinks she believes he wasn’t involved. He asks her to consider the source. Lulu had been drinking, and overheard a conversation in a public restroom. She heard what she wanted to hear. Nina says she doesn’t trust Lulu, but she doesn’t trust him either anymore. They were estranged, about to be divorced, and he had a conversation with her now dead mother about her child, who survived and was adopted. Miracle on top of miracle, he found that child. She was so stupid, she took Sasha in, and brought him back into her life. Sasha isn’t her child. Sasha is a con woman, and he’s telling her that Sasha not only betrayed her, but the great Valentin Cassadine. He says she’s right. He went looking for her daughter to get her back.

Dev asks Josslyn, what’s this? She says it’s the homework he missed. It’s better to try and keep up than get hit with a bunch of makeup homework later. He says, it’s not fair. He’s not allowed off the grounds, and now he has homework. All because she ratted him out to her father.

Alexis shows Sonny the text, and he says, that’s a lot of exclamation marks. She says, Julian does have a flair for the dramatic. Sonny asks why he’s not leaving, and she says he’s had a change of plans. Sonny says, Olivia is furious. She’s thinking of suing Julian, and he hopes she cleans him out.

Brad says he wants Julian to help protect Wiley and Lucas. Julian asks if it’s like the Obrecht situation. Does Brad want him to knock off Nelle? Brad says, Nelle is the last wildcard, and he needs help to contain her. Julian says, it’s too much. It’s Brad’s mess; he needs to clean it up. Brad says, what if he can’t, and Nelle spills everything? He and Julian have been seen together. Sonny will do the math, and put together that Julian was in it. And he’s not the only one. How does Julian think Lucas will feel when he finds out his father was a part of it? Julian asks if Brad is threatening him, and Brad says he’s making sure Julian knows where he stands. Julian grabs Brad by the throat, and says he wants to make sure Brad knows where he stands. He doesn’t take kindly to threats. Ava comes in, and says she doesn’t think Lucas would take kindly to Julian strangling his husband.

Josslyn tells Dev that she couldn’t keep lying to her dad, but her dad won’t sell him out. He wouldn’t do anything to hurt Dev because it would hurt her. Dev asks how it would hurt her if he got sent away? She says she’d feel responsible, so she’s doing what she can to fix it. She starts to type a text, and Dev asks what she’s doing. She says, fixing it.

Alexis tells Sonny that Julian seems committed to staying on the right path. She hasn’t seen any backsliding. Has he heard anything? Sonny says, not yet. She says, since Julian isn’t going anywhere, she thinks it would behoove them to continue to cultivate the current détente. He says she has more faith in Julian than he does.

Ava asks Julian if this is the afternoon floorshow, or do they require a referee? Julian says, the show’s over. Right? He tells Brad, give his best to Lucas and Wiley, and shoves him toward the door. Brad jets, and Ava asks if he’d like to tell her what that was all about. He says, it’s a family matter. Brad asked him to intervene, and he told Brad that he didn’t take sides. She says, so he was driving the point home by choking him? and Julian says, sometimes you need to be blunt, especially with people who won’t take no for an answer. She must know people like that. She says, a few, and tells him to pour her a drink and tell her about Nina’s wedding. She can’t believe he was invited. He says he gave Nina her start at Crimson. Ava says he hired her hoping she’d drive the magazine into the ground, so he could write it off as a loss. He thinks maybe Nina wanted to rub her success in his face, but he didn’t go. She was hoping for some juicy details, and wonders if Nina tripped going down the aisle toward her groom of doom. He says he heard Nina’s eyes were opened before they said their vows. He went to the reception to drop off a gift, and it was a ghost town, except for a few people taking advantage of the open bar. Apparently, Nina stormed out of her own wedding.

Sasha tells Lucy that she’s sorry, but has to pass. Lucy says, funny, and good. A good spokesperson should have sense of humor. Michael says Sasha is serious, and Lucy says, that’s insane. Sasha knows it’s an incredible opportunity, and Lucy says, piffle. She didn’t even begin to negotiate yet, and it’s more than incredible. She wants to give Sasha a stake in the company; she’ll have her own voice. Sasha says she might want to rethink that in the light of recent developments. She no longer comes with a Crimson connection. She no longer has a relationship with Nina. The truth is, she never did. She’s not Nina’s daughter. It was all a hoax, and came out at the wedding. Michael is surprised it hasn’t hit the tabloids yet. Sasha says Lucy doesn’t want her affiliated with her company. She’ll be notorious. Lucy says, notorious is kind of great. Notorious sells. She says, they’ll make bajullions, and hugs Sasha.

Jax’s phone signals that he has a text, but he doesn’t check it. Nina says, so Valentin admits it. He says he admits he wanted to find her daughter, and it got the ball rolling, but Sasha’s actions were her own. Nina says they’re done, but he grabs her arm. Jax tells him, let her go, and Valentin tells Jax, get out of his house. Obrecht comes in, and says Nina is all right. She acknowledges Jax, but Valentin says, Jax was just leaving. Jax says he’s not going unless Nina wants him to, but Nina says she can take care of herself, and it sounds like someone wants to get ahold of him. Jax looks at the text from Josslyn. It says, waiting on u; plz help Dev. He tells Nina that he’s just a phone call away. He leaves, and Obrecht says, bagel? Nina says she has no appetite. Valentin tells her, leaving him solves nothing. Nina says, maybe, but it’s a good way to start. She says, it’s over; they’re through, and goes to pack her things.

Ava tells Julian that she knew Sasha was too to be good true. Does he think Valentin paid Sasha to be Nina’s daughter? He says, of course () Valentin denied any involvement, and she says, of course (🍷). Obviously, Nina doesn’t believe him, or she wouldn’t have left him at the altar. He says she’s enjoying this because it’s Nina, but Ava says, a year ago, she may have felt differently. Now that her life was destroyed by an obsessive man’s lies, she can’t celebrate that kind of pain anymore. Not even Nina’s. He tells her, feel that? That itchy, stretchy feeling? It’s called growth. He’s proud of her. Ava asks him to give her his best bottle of scotch and two glasses. He says, scotch? and she says, it’s more portable than vodka martinis, and vanquishes demons just the same. He says, at least she and Nina are free. Nina is done with Valentin, and she’s done with Ryan. Ava says, it’s not always easy to make a clean break. He’s living proof. If Kim hadn’t come along, he’d still be pursuing Alexis. Maybe he would have even worn her down. He says, doubtful, and she says, guess who just walked in? Alexis smiles at him.

Neil says his vitals aren’t bad. Panic attacks aren’t uncommon. Has he had prior experience with therapy? It’s nothing to be ashamed of, and it’s treatable, but first, they have to get down to the root of the problem. We see Brad sitting on the couch, and he says, that’s easy. It’s his father-in-law, and his son’s mother… and his son’s father.

Sasha tells Lucy that she’s hurt Nina enough already. She’s not using publicity from the scandal for her own end. Lucy is sure Nina would understand. Michael says he’s not. Lucy says Crimson’s revenues soared when Nina put Ava on the cover. Nina did that, so don’t act like it’s not a moral thing to capitalize on a good thing when you see it. Sasha says she’s not capitalizing on anything. She can’t do it. Not to herself or Nina. She loves Nina, and hates how much pain she caused. Lucy asks if Sasha believes she’s the first person to be embroiled in a scandal. Lots of people go through it. The public loves when the guilty are redeemed. Sasha says, there’s no redemption here, and Lucy says, yet. Does Sasha think punishing herself will make up for everything she did to Nina? Sasha says, no, but not making a media spectacle is a start. Lucy asks if Sasha really wants to make amends to all the people she’s wronged, and Sasha says, of course (🍷). Lucy asks how she’s going to support herself while she’s doing it. Does she have a new job? She looks at Michael. Or a sugar daddy? Sasha says, absolutely not. Lucy says, atoning is a lifetime endeavor. It’s not just repentance and lit candles. You have to live your life. If Sasha is skittish to take advantage of her mistakes, she can soften that. That’s what a media trainer is about. Forgiveness is two things; reparation and presence. If she wants to make it right to the people she’s wronged, she has to be in their face. She can’t make reparations by retreating into the shadows. Otherwise, how does anyone know she’s repenting? Lucy says she did it. She put herself out there, and went everywhere. Now everybody loves her.. Well, except her dry cleaner, but everyone else loves her.

Obrecht tells Valentin, Nina was still in her wedding gown, and she came in with Jax. Are they supposed to assume the two of them are… Valentin asks Obrecht to tell him. Jax is such a gentleman. Would he take advantage of a runaway bride on her wedding night? Nina comes out, and Obrecht tries to approach her, but Nina says she’s not talking to her. She’ll send for the rest of her things. She tells Valentin, one more thing. He said when he talked to her mother, she’d said her daughter was alive. Was that a lie? Never mind. What was she thinking? She can’t believe anything he says. Valentin says, don’t say goodbye. His life is meaningless without her. She says, that, she can believe, and leaves.

Sonny answers the door, and it’s Jax, who asks if Dev is there. On the terrace, Dev tells Josslyn, only fifty more assignments to go. She says he got off easy because he’s a hero. He asks if they’re still saying that, and she says she did rescue Wiley from that manic. They’re still talking about it. He says, Sam is the hero, not him. She says he still rates, but he says they didn’t know he was in the process of running away. She says, taking off on his own? He’s brave… but stupid. He says her flattery is overwhelming him. She asks where he was going. How was how planning on taking care of himself? He says he can manage. He got to Port Charles on his own. She asks if he didn’t think about the people he would hurt by leaving. He says Sonny would understand. Her mom probably would have been relieved. Max might have missed him taking the car and speedboat out. Who else did he miss? She said, people. Is there someone he missed? Would she miss him? She says, hardly, and he says he’d miss her too. She says she didn’t say she’d miss him. He says, not to his face, but he guarantees it’s in her diary. He grabs it from her, and she says, that’s private. He says, let’s see what she’s writing about him. She tries to take the diary back, and they end up face to face.

She asks if she can have the diary back now, and he lets go. He says he was just having a little fun, and she asks if he would think it was fun if she looked through his things. He says he wasn’t going to read it; her secrets are safe. She asks him to promise he’ll leave it alone, and he promises. Sonny and Jax come outside, and Sonny says Jax has something he wants to tell them.

Alexis asks Julian, what’s so urgent that it required three exclamations points, and an asap? He shows her a flyer, and asks if she knows about these. They’re all over the neighborhood; questioning his A rating, the quality of his meat, and claiming he waters down the liquor. Customers are starting to ask questions. Ava says, the liquor is just fine. She can attest to that. He says he knows Olivia is behind it, so tell her to cease and desist, or he’ll sue. Alexis suggests he give Olivia back her deposit if he wants to rectify things. He says he’s not giving back the deposit. Besides, he already used it to put a deposit on a place in New York. Since he backed out, he can’t get his back, so why should he give Olivia hers? I dunno. Maybe because it’s the law? Alexis says, no justice, no peace, and he says, she thinks this is funny? She asks why he doesn’t finish the sale, and buy something else? He says he likes Charlie’s. He’s put his blood, sweat, and tears into it. She says he’s only been there two years; how invested can he be? Ava says, Charlie’s is more than just a restaurant. It’s where Julian landed when he started over. It’s a new era. AAD – after Alexis Davis.

Neil tells Brad, open adoptions are quite common now. Does Brad’s son have a relationship with his biological parents? Brad would rather not go into details. He just wanted some meds to help with his nerves. Neil says he can’t prescribe something without determining the underlying issue. He assumes Brad came there to get at the root of his anxiety. He tells Brad to take a deep breath, and Neil about his mother. Brad just looks at him, and Neil says, just a little shrink humor to get Brad to relax. Brad says he’s not relaxed. The reason he has anxiety is, his son was kidnapped. He was taken away, and every day Brad worries that it could happen all over again.

Lucy tells Sasha that she knows being the face of Deception might seem like an improbable road to redemption, but Sasha can use the platform any way she wants. Sasha says she just wants to make things better for Nina. Nina had everything taken from her, and Sasha wishes she could give something back. She doesn’t care how the world sees her. Nina comes in, and asks what Sasha is doing there. Sasha says she was getting her things. Nina sees that she has them, and tells her, get out. If Sasha comes there again, she’ll call security. Lucy suggests Nina ease up a little. Nina asks if Lucy heard what happened, but Lucy tells Nina, she’s just saying Nina should take into account that Sasha is extremely remorseful. And she did bring a bit of happiness to Nina’s life. Nina says, all Sasha brought into her life was a pack of lies. She’s lost everything because of Sasha; the man she loved, the aunt who she thought loved her, her home, her self-respect, her reputation, and Charlotte, the closest thing she’ll ever have to a real daughter. That’s why she came there. To remind herself that at least she has Crimson. Her job is the only worthwhile thing she has left. Sasha says she’s wrong. She still has Valentin and Charlotte. Sasha did this on her own.

Jax says now that he’s been brought him up to speed, he’s given the situation a lot thought. He’s not contradicting Sonny’s story. If anyone finds out the truth, it won’t be from him. Josslyn thanks him, and he says he thinks this is the one time taking action would be counter-productive. Jax flashes back to telling Sonny that he’s made a decision about Dev’s situation. He doesn’t want to destroy Dev by uncovering the lie. He won’t put Josslyn through that, and he doesn’t want to put Dev in any more danger. He hates being part of Sonny’s cover-up, but doesn’t see an alternative. He’s going to leave things as they are. Sonny thanks him, but Jax says, don’t thank him just yet. Back on the terrace, Jax tells Josslyn that she’s given him a lot to think about. He doesn’t want to stand in the way of her helping Dev. Sonny started this lie, and they’ll have to live with it.

Sasha tells Nina that Lulu never heard her say Valentin’s name because he wasn’t involved. She got a call from the lawyer who handled her adoption, Carter Buckley. Michael says she doesn’t have to do this, but she says she does. She says he told her that a P.I. was looking for the daughter of a wealthy woman and she’d be about Sasha’s age. He figured they could orchestrate things so it would look like she was that daughter. The plan was to get money from Nina, and they would split it. He was dying, and wanted to provide for his family. Nina asks why he chose Sasha, and Sasha says he handled her adoption; he knew no one was looking for her. She needed the money, so she said yes. Carter died soon after, and Nina knows the rest. What Sasha thought would be a brief meeting turned into so much more. It became harder for her to keep her distance. She wanted Nina to believe the lie, but she wanted to believe it too. She didn’t want to lose Nina. That’s the truth. Nina says she’s good. She’ll give Sasha that, but no way she did this on her own. Valentin had to be the one who set it up.

Obrecht tells Valentin it’s possible she was a bit premature when she suggested there was a way out of their predicament. Nina may never take them back. He says Nina is his life. He can’t accept a future without her. Obrecht says she’s never seen Nina so hurt and angry. Time to get while the getting is good. He asks where she’s going, and she says, Switzerland. It’s lovely this time of year, and since she’s a citizen, it will be impossible to extradite her, should Nina choose to press charges. Valentin might want to follow her example. He says he’s way ahead. He and Charlotte are going back to Greece. She says, with Lulu’s permission? and he says he’s not afraid of Lulu. His lawyers will tie her up in family court indefinitely. He doesn’t want Charlotte seeing Nina or the family. And maybe his absence will make Nina’s heart grow fonder. Obrecht says, or maybe he’s deluding himself.

Alexis tells Julian, she realizes Charlie’s has significance to him, and apologizes for being insensitive. Julian accepts. He says, back to Olivia’s smear campaign, but she says he doesn’t know Olivia is behind it, but she’ll relay his concerns. He says, not good enough. Olivia is messing with his business and interfering with his customers. He may need to sue. She says he’d have to prove she did it, and it will cost a lot. He should take his resources and start something new; change things up. The Rib has Drag Queen Bingo now, and it’s packed every night. Ava says, that sounds like fun, but Julian says, it’s not a drag bingo kind of place. Alexis says it wasn’t a gastro pub kind of place either, until he made it one. He’s a master of reinvention. She tells hm, you know what they say; every morning you wake up anew, so what you do today is all that matters. He asks if she got that from her shrink boyfriend. She says he’s not her boyfriend, and it’s none of Julian’s business. She leaves, and Ava asks if he heard that. He’s not her boyfriend.

Neil says Brad’s son was kidnapped? and Brad says, yes. Neil asks if he was the boy who was in the news recently. Brad says, yeah.  The cult guy. Neil says, so Shiloh is his son’s biological father. Brad doesn’t see what it matters. His son was stolen, and he feels like he could be taken away at any time and any place. No one understands. He can’t sleep or eat; he’s falling apart. Neil says he’ll give Brad something to make feel better. The medication works differently on everyone, so he’ll tweak it until they get the right dosage. In the meantime, they’ll keep talking, but next time, he wants Brad to bring his husband.

Sasha says she never met Valentin before. She only dealt with Carter and Curtis. Nina says Sasha wants her to believe she faked three DNA tests. Sasha says she had help from someone who knows their way around a lab. Nina says, so she and Obrecht are friends now? but Sasha says, not Obrecht. She had friend from college help her. Obrecht only figured it out a few days before the wedding. If Lulu had heard the whole conversation, she would have heard Nina try to convince Obrecht not to say anything. Nina says, the best laid plans, and Lucy says, it’s food for thought. Sasha says Nina has every right to hate her, but don’t cut out the two people who, despite their flaws, love her very, very much. Charlotte needs Nina, and Nina needs Charlotte. Nina says she needs them all to clear out now. They leave, and Nina throws things and cries.

Dev says he’s in Jax’s debt, and Jax tells him, stay out of trouble. Honor the secret, and he’ll consider the debt paid. Jax flashes back to telling Sonny that he won’t tell Sonny’s secret, but he won’t keep it either. If the Feds knock on his door, he’s not going to perjure himself and give them an excuse to kick him out of the country. Like Sonny did. In the present, Sonny says he doesn’t anticipate any trouble. Dev is a Corinthos now, and there’s no one to say otherwise.

Brad asks why Neil wants Lucas to come, and Neil says he’s concerned about the toll the kidnapping is taking on Brad, and that he doesn’t feel supported in the aftermath. Maybe he can open a line of communication. Brad says, couples therapy might help. Lucas is pretty busy. He can’t guarantee Lucas will come, but he’ll ask. Neil says they’ll get control Brad’s anxiety, and address the underlying issue. He’ll feel better when he sees his fear is unfounded. Brad runs into Alexis as he’s leaving, and Alexis says, bad timing? Neil says, not at all. How was her day? Anything to report? Alexis says, nope. Nothing at all.

Julian looks at a flyer that says he’s paying off the sanitary inspector, and crumples it up. He gets on his phone. At one of the tables, Sasha says Michael thinks she did the wrong thing. He says she took the blame for Valentin so Nina wouldn’t lose the people she loves. Sasha says, they love her too. Valentin would never willingly hurt Nina. The whole twisted situation came out of Valentin’s love, so she’s taking blame, but she’s also clearing the way for them to heal. Charlotte is a great kid, and deserves to be happy. Nina makes her happy. Michael doesn’t agree with her actions, but he can’t argue with her motives. She asks what he would he do, but he tells her, it’s impossible to say. He’d like to think he’d tell the truth, and let the chips fall where they may. She says so he would have told Nina that Valentin was behind it? Michael says it’s possible that when she cools off, she would forgive him. There was no malicious intent, and he did hire a wonderful woman to pose as her daughter, but with Sasha’s way, she’s just waiting for another lie to be exposed.

Ava goes to Nina’s office, carrying the scotch and glasses. Nina says she knew she’d see Ava. She was right; it’s a long, long way to fall. If Ava is there to gloat, have at it. Ava says she’s there in solidarity. She knows a little something about horrid, lying men, and hell on earth.

On Monday, Kim asks if Elizabeth is sure she’s doing the right thing, Jordan tells Henderson to start talking, Obrecht asks Valentin if Nina’s child is alive, and Jason needs to see someone right away.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Yep. I missed it. I was listening though. The main takeaways are, Willow went to visit Harmony, and Nelle is in the park doing clean-up detail, where she ran into Josslyn. Nelle tells the guard that Josslyn was the child she donated a kidney to, and is given leeway to talk to her.

Michael goes in to see Carly, who tells him, the newest Corinthos is arriving ahead of schedule. He’s glad he got there in time, and she tells him to wish her luck. She needs all she can get. She’s nervous about the C-section. Michael wonders why she’s having one, and she says, it’s mandatory for the baby. He asks, why? and Sonny says he’ll let Jason tell Michael. Michael says he knows Carly can handle it, and Jason says, they’ve got this. They go out in the hallway, and the nurse says it’s time to get prepped. Carly says, whether they’re ready or not.

At the park for a run, Kristina tells Alexis that she brought up Shiloh in group therapy. She talked about how much she liked him at first, to the point she was ready to follow him anywhere. Until they helped her. Alexis says, a lot of people love her, and will do anything to help her, and Kristina says she’s lucky to have them – and Willow. When Willow shared her story, it made Kristina see Shiloh for the predator he is. It made her wake up. Alexis says she’s glad, and Kristina says she’s trying to do the same in group, sharing her truths to help someone who’s going down the same road. She’s glad Shiloh is dead, but glad he lived long enough for her to face him down in court, and prove he doesn’t control her. Alexis says Kristina is making good progress. She’s glad it’s over for her, and Kristina says, it is and isn’t. She’s still working though her regrets, especially the Pledge. She’d said she saw Alexis deliberately run down Kiefer, when she was so out of it, she didn’t even remember being there, and his death was completely an accident. Kendra – remember her? – sees them, and Alexis introduces her. Kristina says Kendra looks familiar. Have they met before?

Jordan thanks Sam for coming, and Sam says Jordan didn’t give her a choice. Jordan says new information has come to light on Sam’s involvement with Shiloh’s death. Sam says Shiloh attacked Jason with a gaffing stick, and she grabbed whatever she could find; the signal flare. She said it all in her statement, and doesn’t know why she’s there. Shiloh kidnapped Wiley, assaulted Dev, and attempted to assault her. He also confessed to the murder of his father. Jordan says there’s nothing to corroborate him murdering his father; the rest can be verified. Sam ask if Jordan is going to continue with questioning, and Jordan says, yes. Sam says, then she’s not saying anything else without her lawyer. Jordan tells her, call Diane then. They sooner they’re done, the better for everyone involved, especially Sam.

Josslyn says it doesn’t appear Nelle has progressed, but Nelle tells Josslyn that she’s a model inmate, and is on work detail. Josslyn says, reach for the stars, and Nelle says she made a lot of memories with Michael in the park. Josslyn asks if the stale prison air isn’t cutting it. Nelle says, it’s temporary. Soon, them running into each other will feel normal. Josslyn asks if Nelle is expecting her to be simpatico. Nelle tried t to murder her brother. She can stay in Pentenville for the rest of her miserable life. Nelle says prison has actually given her time to reflect. There’s one thing she’s wanted to tell Josslyn for a long time – she forgives her.

In a mask and scrubs, Sonny asks if Carly is ready. She says she doesn’t have a choice. The baby is on its own time table. Sonny can’t wait to meet the baby. He tells Carly that she looks beautiful, and Carly says they’ll see how long that lasts. He asks how she’s feeling, and she says she can’t feel anything. Sonny says, good; she’s not in pain. They’ll get through this, okay? Carly says, okay. Dr. Johannsson is introduced to her, and he says he’s going to assist with the delivery. He’ll keep the area of the spine sterile, and put dressing on it before surgery is done. Carly tells Sonny, let’s do this. Let’s meet our baby.

Kendra tells Kristina, people say that all the time. She guesses she has one of those faces. Alexis says Kristina works at Charlie’s, and Kendra says that’s probably it. She was hooked on the place from the first time she met Alexis. Alexis explains that Kendra is the trainer making her do this, and Kristina says she’s having a good effect. Is Alexis learning a lot? Alexis says. Kendra is helping her focus on this, and her new therapist – did she mention that she has a new one? – is helping her work on that. She’s focused on good relationships. Kristina asks if Alexis’s relationship with Neil falls on the healthy side of the spectrum. Alexis asks Kendra to give them a minute, and Kendra goes to the car to get her backpack. Alexis says her relationship with Kristina takes precedence over her relationship with Neil. If Kristina has a problem with it, say so, and she’ll put an end to it.

Josslyn tells Nelle to save her forgiveness. She doesn’t want it. She’ll never forgive Nelle for what Nelle did to her family. Nelle apologizes for being insensitive. Josslyn is still grieving Oscar. Josslyn says Nelle is such a bitch. She hopes Nelle chokes on her fake sympathy. Nelle says she didn’t mean to anger Josslyn. Josslyn says the only reason she’s not slapping Nelle’s lying face is because the guard is there, and she doesn’t want to risk Nelle being mistaken for being a victim. Josslyn tells the guard that Nelle is making her uncomfortable. Nelle says she hopes Josslyn finds more compassion the next time they meet.

Jason tells Michael that the baby has spina bifida, but it’s not the worst case, and treatable with surgery. Michael asks how it’s going to effect the baby, but Jason says they won’t know until after the surgery. Michael wonders why his parents didn’t say anything, and Jason tells him there was no point in worrying them, since there’s nothing they can do. He tells Michael not to worry. They’ll closely monitor the baby’s delivery, and his little brother or sister will have the best possible care. Sam calls, and Jason asks if she’s still at GH. She says, no. Jordan summoned her to the PCPD, saying they have new information about her role in Shiloh’s death. He tells her, sit tight. He’ll call Diane to meet her there. He tells Michael that he has to run. Apparently, there are more questions about Shiloh’s death. Let him know when the baby is born, and he’ll be back as soon as he can. Michael says he’ll be there for them.

Dr. Navarro tells Carly that she Just made the incision in Carly’s abdomen. How is she doing? Carly says, fine. She’s not feeling anything. How is it going on the doctor’s end? Dr. Navarro laughs, and says Carly is doing an incredible job. So is the baby. They’re going to see the baby’s face in a few minutes.

Kristina says she told Alexis that she needed time to process. Neil has helped so much, and if it makes Alexis happy, Kristina is happy for her. They exchange I love yous, and hug. Kendra comes back, and Kristina says she’ll let them get to work. She tells Kendra that it was nice to meet her, and not to go easy on Alexis. Kendra says she won’t. Kristina leaves, and Kendra say she caught the nice mother/daughter hug. Alexis says Kendra has no idea how far she’s clawed to get there. Kendra says, there’s nowhere to go but up, right? And she’s here to help Alexis do it.

Sam says she was assured the case was closed, but Jordan says they have new evidence. A nurse came forward who overheard a conversation between Sam and Jason. She reads from Sheri’s statement that Sam kept thinking about the horror Shiloh put her sister through, and Willow, Wiley, and herself. She wanted to make sure he never hurt anyone again. Did she shoot Shiloh to defend Jason, or to make sure he’d never hurt anyone again?

Harmon tells Willow, it sounds like a violent ending. Shiloh holding Sam and Wiley hostage, and threatening Jason. She’s glad no one else was hurt. It’s for the best. Shiloh got what he deserved. Willow says it helps that there must have been some sliver of conscience, since Shiloh let Dev and Wiley go. Harmony says at one time, she believed in that man, with her whole heart and soul. He was everything to her, but she let Shiloh and his vision consume her to the point that she betrayed Willow and Willow’s father. Willow says Shiloh manipulated her, and so many others. There’s one person he never hurt, Harmony’s grandson. Wiley is safe now.

Nelle walks into a visiting room, and says, it’s good to finally meet face to face. Has he decided to take her case? It’s Tad the Cad, now Martin Gray, and looking like Colonel Sanders. He says, assume nothing, and you’ll never be disappointed.

Josslyn runs into the hospital, and asks Michael where their mom is. He says, she’s having a C-section. Josslyn says, sorry she’s flustered. He’ll never guess who she saw in the park. She doesn’t give him a chance to guess, and says, Nelle. She was on work detail, and made a big deal about how she saved Josslyn’s life. Michael says he’s so sorry, and Josslyn says, please. She’s so over feeling obligated or grateful. Nelle can’t manipulate her anymore, even though she tries every chance she gets. She mentioned Michael, and Josslyn told her that he’d moved on to an amazing, beautiful new girlfriend. Nelle tried to hide it, but Josslyn could tell she was pissed. Nelle tried get back at her, offering fake sympathy about Oscar. Just hearing Oscar’s name come out of Nelle’s mouth, it took everything Josslyn had not to slap her. The guard was there, so she didn’t want to take the risk, but she turned Nelle’s limitations to her advantage. Michael asks how she turned a confrontation with his lunatic ex into a business strategy, and Josslyn says she told the guard that the prisoner was making her uncomfortable, so Nelle was moved along. Michael says, genius move. She says that’s why it took her so long to get there. She hopes the baby is born soon. She can’t wait to meet them. Michael says him too.

Sonny tells Carly that she’s doing great. She says she’s trying, and the doctor says the baby is almost there. We hear crying, and see the biggest newborn ever. Dr. Navarro says, it’s a baby girl. Sonny says, she looks precious, but I’m not even sure that’s a real baby.

Kendra tells Alexis that she looks fantastic. How does she feel? Alexis says, everything hurts, and she’s having trouble sleeping. Kendra says, exercise should have the opposite effect, and Alexis says she spends the night worrying, mostly about her children, but she feels better and has more energy. Kendra says it’s nice hearing when her clients notice a change in their body and mind. Alexis thanks Kendra, but Kendra says she’s doing all the hard work. Alexis says she’s trying to do what’s good for her, and give her children space. Kendra asks how that’s working, and Alexis says she’s not going to lie. She has trouble staying in her own life. She has the urge to hover, but she’s resisting it. Kendra wants to introduce Alexis to a new component toward a better life, and Alexis says, no more squats, but Kendra takes a big jar out of her backpack.

Diane tells Jordan that she’s more surprised than concerned that her client was called back in for questioning for the second time in less than twelve hours because of hearsay. Jordan says, the nurse heard Sam say that she stopped to consider her actions. She knew what she was doing when she shot Shiloh in the back. It wasn’t self-defense, but payback. Diane asks if she presented this to the DA. Jordan doesn’t say anything, and Diane says, of course not. Robert isn’t going to listen to an unsupported allegation. A nurse who thinks she heard a conversation in a crowded hospital after a long day. It’s nothing that will stand up in court. They’re done there.

Carly holds the baby, and says, so beautiful. This is definitely a real baby, and actually looks like Sonny. Dr. Johannsson says there’s little or no damage to the surgery pathways, and the spine should be fine. Sonny says he loves the baby so much already. He’s going to take care of her. He’s going to give her the world and all the love in it. Carly says she can’t wait to tell everyone the baby’s name. It’s been hard keeping it a secret. Sonny is glad they had a secret together, and says, welcome to the world, Donna.

Kristina joins the others at the hospital, saying she was on a run, and her phone was off. She asks how the baby is, and Michael says Carly had a C-section a while ago. She was in good spirits when he talked to her. Josslyn feels like they should have heard something by now, but Michael says, they’re taking extra precautions. Josslyn asks, why? Is something wrong? Kristina asks, what is it? and Jason says, tell them. Michael says, the baby has spina bifida. It’s serious, but they’ll get through it together.

Martin tells Nelle that he hasn’t decided to take the case yet. He wanted to meet her first. She says now that they’ve met, is there something she can do to help or convince him to take the case? He suggests she pump the breaks a little. He doesn’t like rushing. She says her parole hearing is coming up fast. Did he look over her records? He laughs, and says, it’s pretty damning stuff. She tried to murder her baby’s father with her ex-boyfriend, who’s a cop. And they have the whole thing on tape. Nelle says she was under enormous pressure. She was pregnant, alone, and felt ganged up on. Her hormones were making the decisions for her; she wasn’t in control. Now she is. She knows he can help her. He represented someone in a similar situation, and got an acquittal for a case more difficult than hers. Her childhood was abusive, and she’s struggled her whole life. She got pregnant, and thought she was happy. She thought the baby’s father loved her. Then the baby died, and she went to a prison she’ll never escape. Hasn’t she paid her debt for life?

Kendra tells Alexis, this is a brand new product, and Alexis says, yay! Protein powder. Kendra says it’s a supplement that gives the nutrients we don’t get in food. It’s made in small batches with only the purest ingredients. Alexis looks at the container, and says it’s in Italian. She wants to translate it, and make sure it’s something she wants to take. Kendra wants her to take it in confidence, and wishes all her clients were so meticulous about what they put in their bodies. Kendra’s phone dings, and she says she has to make a quick call to a client. She steps away, and we see she’s gotten a photo captioned Kiefer in the summer of nineteen-whatever.

Sonny is glad he and Carly had time with the baby. She’s so perfect, it’s hard to imagine there’s anything wrong. She’s so tiny. Carly says, tiny, but fierce. She can handle it, and so can they. They tell Donna that they love her, and the nurse takes her. She’s wheeled out on a tiny gurney for babies.

Martin tells Nelle, sorry she lost her child, but truthfully, he doesn’t know if it will have any bearing on her parole hearing. She says she’s not looking for sympathy. She’s been a model prisoner from the moment she came in. She has special privileges. Martin says he knows. The warden sang her praises. She says, he’s a kind man. She’s had time to reflect on the decisions that led her there, and she’d never sink to those lows again. It makes her sick to think about how much pain she caused. She wants to make it up to them, but she can’t do that in there, can she?

Sonny tells the kids he has good news. Carly had the baby. Kristina asks if it’s a boy or girl, but he says he’ll let Carly tell them all at the same time. Josslyn asks how Carly is, and he says, tired, but happy. Kristina asks how the baby is, and Sonny says, everything is going according to plan. The baby is in surgery. He got to hold his baby, who’s a heartbreaker even now. He can’t wait for them to see for themselves.

Kendra comes back, and Alexis says, everything checks out. Kendra believes it will help with Alexis’s workout, and help her sleep. It has double the electrolytes to help her well-being. She’ll be hydrated, and ready to go. Kendra suggests Alexis try it; she’ll join her. She puts a scoop in Alexis’s water, and Alexis shakes it up. Kendra puts a scoop in her own water, and Alexis says, bottoms up. Kendra barely touches it with her lips, but Alexis takes a couple of swigs. I’m wondering what the blip it is, and what Kendra has to do with Kiefer. As no doubt, we all are.

The guard tells Harmony, time’s up. Harmony thanks Willow for telling her in person. Willow says, it’s going to be okay. Wiley is safe, and that’s all that matters. Harmony says it’s nice seeing Willow without that weight on her shoulders. She looks at peace. Willow says they’re all free now, and Harmony says, speak for herself. Willow says, free from Shiloh. Harmony says at least Willow and Wiley are. He can’t hurt them anymore. She takes a lot of satisfaction in that. Willow is happy that Harmony stood up to Shiloh. She’s proud of her. Harmony says she just followed Willow’s example. They touch hands against the glass between them.

Nelle asks what Martin is thinking, and he says he’ll represent her at her hearing. He thinks she’ll make a compelling impression on the parole board. She says, that’s fantastic news, and thanks him. She asks, what’s next? and he says his office will be in touch.

While Nelle is being led back to her cell, she passes Harmony, who’s wiping tears from he face. Nelle asks, what’s wrong? and Harmony says she just got difficult news. Nelle says, not about her grandson? and Harmony says, Wiley is fine. It’s about his father. Shiloh is dead. Nelle says she’s so sorry. Harmony is led away, and Nelle says, this day keeps getting better and better.

The kids go in to see Carly. Josslyn says they heard she did a great job with the delivery. How is she feeling? Carly says she feels fine, and can’t wait to see the baby again. Sonny says the know the baby has spina bifida, and Josslyn says, it will be okay, whatever happens. Carly says she knows. What else do they know about the baby? Sonny says they don’t know whether it’s a boy or girl. He thought she’d want to tell them. Carly says they have a new baby sister. Josslyn says Avery will be so excited, and Michael asks what her name is. Sonny says, Donna, and Josslyn asks how they came up with the name, and Kristina says, Donna from the old neighborhood. Sonny is surprised she remembers, and says, Donna was a great lady in the old neighborhood. People loved and hated her, sometimes both. Josslyn asks, why? and he says, because she was kind and loyal, and could keep a secret. You could talk about your problems, who you loved, your fears, and she’d just listen, not judge. She wouldn’t tell a soul. She was tough as nail, and had no patience for fools. If you were annoying, she’d get in your face. She hated bullies, young or old, and she was fearless about that. Most of all, she was kind, loyal, and generous. One of the greatest things about her was that she could always make you smile, no matter how you felt. It’s just the way she was. Carly says, it’s how their Donna is going to be, and they group hug.

Sam tells Jason that she should have been more careful, but Jason says, the nurse was out of the room. How would Sam know she was eavesdropping? Sam says when she saw Sheri last night, she was nice, but then a few hours ago, she seemed unfriendly. Diane says she’d do research on Sheri, but it’s hearsay, and inadmissible in court. Sam says, Jordan doesn’t seem to think so, but Diane says, Jordan is doing her job. They should be prepared for more questions. Fortunately, they have her on retainer. Json says, Michael just texted, and Carly had the baby. He didn’t say whether it was a boy or girl. Sam says they have to go and find out. Diane says she has to text Max. He’s been on pins and needles.

As Jason and Sam are about to leave, Jordan comes back. She tells Sam that she’s under arrest for the murder of David Henry Archer, aka Shiloh.

Tomorrow, Franco says what he and Kim have is real, Kim tells Terry that Drew is real, Laura says she has one night to search Windymere, and Sam says Shiloh found a way to hurt them even from his grave.

Below Deck Mediterranean – The Finale

Villafranche. We slide back a little, with the captain telling Hannah about the importance of having the table set before the guests get up. Hannah says that she had two people up while the guests were up the night before, and Captain Sandy says the deckhands were up, and washed Hannah’s effing dishes. Anastasia told the captain she was too busy to set the table. Not one thing is set up. There’s no fresh orange juice. Hannah says the plan was to set up for brunch at 10:30, but the captain says she wants it now. She wants all of the interior on deck. Hannah tells Ben, two hours until service. In Captain Sandy’s interview, she says she was making a point that it’s a nice touch to wake up to a set breakfast table.

Captain Sandy compliments João on his management, and having it together when the guests wake up. She says, this is why they charter a yacht, and not a cruise ship. She thinks the table should be set at 5:30-6:00. She talks to João about finding him a boat. In her interview, she says, it’s all about helping people ascend in the industry who want to. It’s her passion, and she’s investing in him. Ben makes muffins. Jack asks Aesha if she had a nice sleep. Hannah tells the stews it’s time to set up for brunch. She tells Anastasia that Captain Sandy told her that they have different views about service. She thought it was important that two people were up when the guests were awake. The deck crew puts out the slide.

The table looks fabulous. It’s a nautical theme, with a life preserver as the centerpiece, and messages in bottles for the guests using the parchment paper Anastasia made. Captain Sandy thinks it’s cool. In her interview, she says it’s amazing, but she doesn’t want to come down on Hannah to get that result. She tells Hannah the table is amazing, and thanks the deck crew. Colin thinks they did well. Anastasia tells Ben that she’s on edge, and he says, four more hours. Hannah pours coffee. Jack asks how João has put up with him all season. João says he asks himself that every day.

The guests wake up, and start coming to the table. Hannah gets coffee, and they haul anchor. In the captain’s interview, she says the anchor was her Achille’s heel. We flash back to all the anchor problems over the season. She says, the Sirocco became her bitch. Hannah tells Captain Sandy the guests love the table. Anastasia asks if they’ve read the messages in the bottles, but Hannah says they’re waiting until they’re done eating. Captain Sandy says, the port is closed. She saw smoke, and apparently, a boat caught fire. She tells João about the change in plans. In her interview, the captain says it’s the final day, they have beautiful weather, and there’s a freaking fire that closed the port. She’s not sure where they’re going to go.

The captain tells Hannah they’re going to do a drive-by in Antibes. In her interview, she says thankfully, the weather is good because they’re going to have to find another port. The guests sit down for brunch. The dude that Hannah was talking to the night before, barely says good morning, and in her interview, she thinks someone has guilt over chatting with her. The guests admire the table, and in her interview, Anastasia says, of course they love it. It’s beautiful. Ben asks Hannah for some help, and the food is served. More eggs benedict. I’m dying here. In Ben’s interview, he says he has a lot of respect for Hannah as a friend. Professionally, not so much. He’s driven by the challenge of the job, and she’s not. For that, he feels sorry for her. Colin tells João, they made it. He thought the captain had been sh*tting on them the whole time, and now they’re ballers. Hannah tells the guests there was an explosion on a yacht, so they can’t use the port, but she’ll let them know what’s going on when they know. I’m sure talk of an explosion on a yacht is a comforting thought to guests on a yacht. Ben checks on the guests, and asks what Randy’s favorite bite was on the entire trip. Randy says dinner the first night was very detailed. In Ben’s interview, he says his catering business isn’t as grueling. He was afraid to get on the boat, wondering if he still had it in him. We flash back to the guests sending food back, and Ben saying it’s enough to get him to give up cooking. He thinks he overcame it. A guest calls Ben an artist. They look at their messages, which are corny/funny. One guest is impressed with the paper.

The captain wonders where their berth will be, and tells the deck crew to prepare to stand by. Jack jokes that he’s kicking Aesha out of their cabin; he’s had enough. Captain Sandy call João to get the deck crew. They’re docking in Antibes. The guests take pictures. Anastasia pretends to interview Jack, and asks if he’s excited to be docking the boat, and he tells her to get away from him, calling her a feminist. In her interview, the captain says fortunately, they got a dock in Antibes. Unfortunately she has to back all the way in, but she’s had experience at this. We flash back to some tight squeezes. The guests watch, and declare her a parking genius. Captain tells them, well done. She tells Anastasia it’s been an absolute pleasure working with her; she’s amazing. They hug. Hannah hears them, and looks bummed. Anastasia says she needs to be off the boat. She has anxiety.

It’s the last line up, and everyone says goodbye to the guests. Randy compliments everyone, and tells Ben that he’s an artist. he thanks Captain Sandy for making the yacht home for a couple of days. He says, this is for her, and gives her an envelope. The captain asks if the crew heard; it’s for her. Everyone laughs, and they go back inside. Aesha says she feels energetic and suggests they do another one. Anastasia says, eff you. Hannah tells Anastasia that she had so much to prove to Captain Sandy this season, she’s disappointed. She said they expect different levels of service, when she was just saying how happy she was. It was like a backhand. She would have preferred a backhand. She says she can’t do it any more than this. She tried to be perfect all season, and feels like a failure, when she’s been doing her best. Anastasia says Hannah has to tell the captain, and hugs her.

Aesha doesn’t want to pack João asks how Jack feels, and Jack says, sad. He wants to keep going. João appreciates that Jack respected his position. This is his career; his passion. He might even call Jack for a job. Jack says he’s pushing it now. In Jack’s interview, he says they went from hates to mates. He’d definitely work with João in the future, but only if he was the boss. João says Jack met his challenge, and Jack says he can’t wait for that phone call. It’s time for the final tip meeting.

Captain Sandy says they actually made it. From charter one to seven, they never had a full crew. With charter eight, it was the first full crew, then Ben came. That he could produce a lunch like he did that day, was amazing. She feels like he brought something to the crew that was lacking, and would love to work with him again. Ben thanks her for having him. In Captain Sandy’s interview, she says she’s at the level where she wants an A team that has that passion. She says on charter nine, João got sick, but overall, they did an amazing job. Her expectations of service are, however you worked on the last boat stays on the last boat. In Aesha’s interview, she wonders what the bloody hell the captain wants. They were doing their job, and doing it well. The tip is $15,000 USD, or $1185 a person. She tells them their season total was $155K, or $14,420 a person. She says, that’s pretty freaking good. In her interview, Aesha says it makes trips to London seem more feasible. The captain asks to see Hannah on the bridge. Ben tells Hannah that she’s a fantastic girl. He can’t drink enough in her name.

The captain tells Hannah that she’s amazing with the guests. She doesn’t want to take away from what they have, but wants to share this. She loves being a captain. When Ben came on, she could see Ben loves being a chef. The guests are Hannah’s passion, and she killed it with them, but that wasn’t what was behind her concerns. The table setting took a while, and it irritated her. She knows Hannah tries, but doesn’t think yachting is her passion, and Hannah should follow her dreams. This industry needs a passionate chief stew. Hannah gets teary. In Captain Sandy’s interview, she says, you want to finish better than you started. That’s called passion. She tells Hannah not to be sad. Everyone watches as Hannah walks past, and sits on the dock.

João says, what a trip. They have one more night out. Aesha tells Hannah, well done. She’s proud of them. Anastasia tells the deckhands, the captain was ripping Hannah for no reason. The criticism isn’t fair. João decides to have a beer. Aesha says, cheers to Hannah. Anastasia joins them, and Hannah says, sorry she’s been ugh. Whatever that means. Hannah tends to use sound effects to express her thoughts. Anastasia says Hannah is holding it together better than she would. They clink glasses. Anastasia says they know what they did.

João calls a friend of Sandy’s named Skip, and asks about an interview. Skip says Sandy talked to him about the potential of them working together. In João’s interview, he says he’s sitting at the same port he started at. He came with three things; a backpack, some gold coins, and hope. Now he’s having a conversation about a possible captain position. He worked hard to get to this point, and it’s somewhat emotional. João tears up. Skip asks what João envisions next, and  João says, in one to three years, he wants to be a captain, and manage his own team. Skip says he’ll have to talk to Sandy about it.

Jack and Aesha goof around. Everyone gets ready to go out. In her interview, Aesha thinks tonight everyone is going to get loose, and go out with a bang. She gets an extra one. Even Captain Sandy dresses up. They go to Le Plongeoir, which is on the water (see below for a pic). Aesha says she loves this place. Going there is a big treat. They order, and in his interview, Travis says he doesn’t want to end on a low. He’s going to curb his drinking tonight. He also doesn’t want to get super drunk in front of his sober captain. Captain Sandy thanks them for being amazing. They went through a lot, and came out the other side. Every one of them added to the guest’s experience. She’s proud of them. In her interview, she says the dinner is a celebration of them completing the charter season together. She wanted to show them that they’re a team. Ben toasts to Sandy, and Anastasia toasts to their fabulous chief stew, who looks absolutely stunning tonight. Aesha says, cheers to herself, and Anastasia seconds that, saying, cheers for getting a man. Captain Sandy wants to know what their greatest moment was, versus their hardest moment. She says it’s a learning curve for her, and she can take her knowledge to the next boat. João says, on a professional level, it was amazing when Travis stepped up to the plate when he was sick. He can’t think of a lowest moment. Travis says the greatest thing was his friendship with Jack, and the hardest, having it taken away by Aesha. Hannah says her girls were the highlight of her season. She loves them. Her lowest point was probably her horrible tables. Ben says his lowest point was getting in the galley and seeing it, and his highest point was leaving the galley. Aesha says her high point was the extra romantic gestures from Jack, and we flash back to those. She says her low point was the interior not getting as much praise as they should have.

I’m honestly starting to feel sad about the season ending, even though I’m so looking forward to the original Deck. That will be premiering next Monday, October 7th, at 9 pm. So at least no withdrawal.

In her interview, the captain says, Aesha is a good forgetter. We flash back to Captain Sandy encouraging Aesha, and giving her some praise. The captain says, it’s because the team took it personally, and that’s not the case. Aesha says she knows Hannah works hard and does a good job. She hates that Hannah isn’t getting the praise she deserves. Captain Sandy says she’s going to go and let them have some fun. They have one last cheers. Hannah high-fives Aesha. João sarcastically says, Aesha is an effing hero. What a legend. Aesha says she was being honest, and João says, so was Sandy. Aesha tells him, eff off.  Hannah asks Aesha to step away from the table with her. Hannah says it looked like Aesha needed space. Aesha wonders what’s João’s effing problem? Everyone goes back to the boat.

The captain knocks on Hannah’s door. She tells Hannah that she’s thrilled with what their has become. She hopes Hannah knows that. Hannah tears up, and says she understands where Captain Sandy is coming from with her belief about passion. She is passionate about the guest’s experience, She’s not as passionate about cleaning toilets, but the captain says, it’s not about that. Hannah is great at interacting with the guests, but what’s not all it is. It’s also about when the guests sit around the table. Yesterday, Hannah did an amazing table, but she wants amazing constantly. It’s what she asked for, but she didn’t want to ask. Hannah says she felt like she tried her best, and her best wasn’t good enough. Captain Sandy says that’s not the case. She’s grateful. Hannah did an amazing job. She doesn’t want Hannah to think she’s disappointed; she’s not. She’s not easy, but she’s fair. In Captain Sandy’s interview, she says she’d work with Hannah again, but Hannah would need to perform at the level she needs. Hannah tells the captain that she understands, and they hug.

Jack and Travis decide to snooze on the sundeck. Travis thinks Jack owes him some quality time. Jack says, they’re going to be friends for the rest of their lives, but he’s in a relationship with Aesha, so he’s stuck with her. Aesha joins them, and asks why Jack isn’t in bed, and Jack tells her that he’s sleeping under the stars. She wants to sleep inside, and kisses him goodnight. In Travis’s interview, he says they wanted to do this little kid campout, and it’s nice Jack didn’t ditch him for Aesha.

Everyone starts getting up by 8:30. Colin bangs on a pan, so they’re all awake now. In Colin’s interview, he says he’s more excited than sad. He couldn’t be happier going home to his parents, and sleeping in his own bed. Everyone packs. Ben tells Anastasia that he literally couldn’t have done it without her. In Anastasia’s interview, she says she’s capable of more than she thought. Looking back, she accomplished a lot. Even if she couldn’t carry it for the whole season, she rocked it. Ben gifts her with a chef’s knife, and they say goodbye. Anastasia tells Hannah that she’s been there for her more than anyone else. Captain Sandy says Anastasia is an amazing human being. Anastasia leaves the boat.

In his interview, Colin says, a couple of falls, a broken anchor, almost leaving the boat mid-season; the boat is trying to kick him off, but he persevered. The captain says she’s grateful. He thanks her for believing in him; it meant a lot. João says he’s grateful for Colin’s friendship. He makes you feel like you want to be a better person. Colin waves goodbye, saying, smell you guys later.

Skip calls, and says João has a job if he wants it. João says, it’s a dream come true. In his interview, Travis says, it’s been a long season. He’s been working for two years straight, with no holiday or time off to relax. He wants to see his loved ones in Australia, and just try and chill TF out. Aesha thanks Hannah for being amazing. In his interview, Jack says, it’s been fun pushing boundaries. He and Aesha go to the bridge to see Captain Sandy. The captain says they met on the boat, and their leaving together. She tells Jack that he’s special. He laughs, and she says he knows what she’s talking about. In the captain’s interview, she says she’d work with Jack again… maybe. She says, Aesha told her that she didn’t get enough praise. She did a fabulous job. She has a certain energy that makes people feel comfortable. She’s incredible. In Aesha’s interview, she says she did her job well, met lifelong friends, and she’s leaving with a dude who has a big d*ck. She asks Jack if babysitting him is her life now.

In Hannah’s interview, she says she and Ben have the relationship of an old married couple. They bicker, but have each other’s backs 95% of the time. She’s glad she didn’t do the whole charter season with him. Ben thanks the captain. In Ben’s interview, he says he overcame every obstacle he was in control of, and he’s walking off a stronger person. He enjoyed the challenge. It was a joy, but he’s glad to be walking off the boat, and back to a normal life.

In João’s interview, he says he and Hannah have come a long way in regard to respecting each other’s opinions. They can work with each other. He goes to the bridge to say goodbye, and Captain Sandy says she’s going to cry. They hug, and he says he learned so much. He tells her that he got the job, and thanks her. She says he has a bright future. In João’s interview, he says he came in thinking he wanted to be a captain. He wouldn’t be where is in his career except for Captain Sandy. She says she can say it and mean it. He’s the captain now.

Captain Sandy tells Hannah, it’s been amazing. In her interview, Hannah says she’s not letting one charter ruin what she and the captain have built. She tells the captain that she is passionate about giving the guests a great experience, but she has to do research on table décor. Captain Sandy says Hannah is a phenomenal human being. In Hannah’s interview, she says, next season, she’ll do dinner service in a mermaid outfit, and bring all the passion she can muster.

Captain Sandy stands on deck, and says, finité.

Coming up on Below Deck – Thailand, which Captain Lee says is like sensory overload, there’s so much to take in; elephants; a deckhand stripper; Kate says boat romances don’t end, you have to ship out; a stuck tender; Kate gives the finger; and Captain Lee says don’t think he won’t fire someone mid-charter. Well, it’s happened before.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

On the phone, Sonny leaves Carly a message that he left the trial early. He couldn’t stand looking at Shiloh’s face. Jason will fill her in. He’s getting lunch. He’ll improvise in getting her something.

Carly is also on the phone. Carly realizes the semester started already, but Dev is a fast learner, and she feels the school is a perfect fit. She says she thinks an interview is a great idea.

Dev and Josslyn sit outside Kelly’s. Josslyn thinks the essay is a waste of time. Dev asks if she’s not a Nathaniel Hawthorne fan, and she says she’s not a fan of the assignment. Rather than explaining the symbolism of light and dark, she’d like to discuss whether it’s misogynistic or feminist. The reason it’s dark in some of the scenes is because it’s nighttime. The end. She says he’s quiet; is something wrong? He says no, and she asks if he’s still worried about school. He remembers hearing Carly tell Sonny that they’re going to have to send Dev away. He says, maybe a little.

Lulu and Maxie bring lunch into the Crimson office. Lulu says their lunch is long overdue. Maxie agrees. Lulu has updates, and Maxie asks if they’re about hot Dustin. Lulu says she’s still mortified about her mother walking in on them. Maxie is sure her mother is too, and suggests a heads up next time. Lulu asks to change the subject. Lulu asks how James is, and Maxie says, delicious. Lulu asks how it’s going with Peter, and Maxie says, so good. She’s almost nervous.

On the phone, Peter says they’re not going to get another opportunity like this again. There can’t be any mistakes. Understood? Sketch guy being a guard says, don’t worry. After today, Shiloh won’t be a problem for anyone.

Shiloh is sworn in. Sam makes a meh face at him.

Sonny sees Dev and Josslyn outside Kelly’s, and asks, what’s going on? Josslyn says, homework with a side of homework. Sonny says, already? and Josslyn tells him, the teachers aren’t being easy on them. Sonny says, hit the ground running, but she says, it feels like they’re sprinting. Sonny tells Dev to take some time off from the warehouse; they’ll survive without him for a bit. Sonny is proud of them, staying on top of things. Josslyn says she’s not ditching, and going back to being an outstanding PCHS student. Sonny says, good. It’s one less thing for her mom to worry about with the baby on the way.

Bobbie stops by to visit Carly, saying she had time before picking up Wiley. Carly says she misses Wiley, and Bobbie says they’re going straight to the Y for his swimming lesson. Lucas and Brad are both working, and didn’t want him to miss it. Carly says Bobbie is living up to her World’s Best Grandma mug. Bobbie says she’s hoping to stay on the same streak with Carly’s little one. That’s why she’s there. She wanted to go over a few things. Carly’s due date is approaching like a freight train, and she hasn’t shared her birth plan. Carly says Dr. Navarro scheduled her for a C-section weeks ago. Bobbie is surprised that she’s having a C-section.

Peter walks into the Crimson office. He says he was going to ask Maxie to lunch, but Lulu beat him to it. He asks for a raincheck, and Maxie gives him a kiss. He asks if Lulu shouldn’t be working on her story, and she says it’s the first break she’s gotten. The pet fashion show was a longer time investment than she anticipated. Maxie asks did she at least have fun, and Lulu says, yes – for the first hour. Peter asks, how long? and she says, four hours of dressed up pets with punny supermodel names. Peter is sure she found a good angle. She says she tried, but she’s craving more. She knows she promised that she wouldn’t ask for another professional favor, but she’s desperate. Can he please convince her editor to put her back on the crime beat?

Shiloh’s lawyer, Miss Soto, asks his name and his occupation. He tells her to call him Shiloh, and says he’s the founder of Dawn of Day. She says they’ve heard testimony about the supposed horrors that happened within his organization. It he the leader of DoD, and is it a cult? He says, no; absolutely not. He takes issue with the term leader. No one person is above another in their organization. She asks what they do, and he says, community outreach mostly; clothing and food drives, and beautification projects. She asks if he’d describe the members as volunteers who better the community, and he says he would, but a more vital component is that they’re a self-help organization. She asks him to elaborate, and he says they believe, in order to heal the world’s wounds, they have to heal theirs first. They’ve helped many lost and misguided souls, some of which are in attendance today. Kristina came to him confused and troubled, alienated from her family. He put her in their outreach program, and watched her blossom into a self-assured young woman. Alexis was involved in a highly toxic, abusive relationship with her ex. The work they did helped move her to a stable more mature relationship. (Huh? Does he mean her relationship with the shrink she needed to help untwist Kristina’s mind from what Shiloh did to her?) He says Sam was unlike her sister and mother. She came to him under false pretenses, saying she needed help working on her co-dependency issues with her son’s father. It became clear that she had an ulterior motive, and ultimately conspiring with the man who tried to kill him – Jason Morgan.

Jennifer objects, saying, the witness is assuming facts not in evidence. Shiloh says, the fact is, Jason threw him down a flight of stairs. Jennifer says, unsubstantiated allegations, and the judge says, sustained. He tells Miss Soto to keep her client focused. She asks if Shiloh takes issue with Sam’s testimony, and he says he takes issue with the fact that she’s lying. Jennifer objects again, saying, inflammatory, and it’s overruled, but the judge advises defense counsel to tone down the rhetoric. Miss Soto asks what might have motivated Sam into giving false or misleading testimony? Shiloh says it might have had something to do with their past history. She asks him to elaborate, and he says, years ago, Sam married his father under a false name, and wiped out their family’s life savings.

Peter says he’ll mention Lulu’s concerns to her editor, but his help comes with a price. He wants her to assure him that she’ll stick to reporting. No more vigilante stuff, and going after the suspects herself. She agrees, but Maxie thinks the crime beat might not be good for Lulu. She won’t have time to hang out with hot Dustin.

Josslyn tells Sonny that she doesn’t want to cause her parents any stress. She knows the baby needs to be the number one priority right now. Sonny is glad to hear it. He asks if they need a ride, but Josslyn wants to finish her essay so she can enjoy her weekend. Sonny says he’ll see them at home. Dev tells Josslyn that he’s glad to get a head start. Josslyn says she can’t take another pep talk. He says he’s just glad she hasn’t written off school.

Bobbie asks why Carly opted for a C-section, and Carly says Dr. Navarro thought it was a safer option. She’s sorry she didn’t tell Bobbie. It must be pregnancy brain. Bobbie tells her, enjoy that excuse while it lasts. She asks if Carly is getting nervous, and Carly says, a little. Bobbie says she’s doing everything right. There are advantages to a C-section, especially if a difficult delivery is anticipated, but they’d know that by now if there were serious complications with the pregnancy.

Carly says, actually, there is something she hasn’t told Bobbie about the baby. Bobbie asks what it is, but Sonny comes in. He gives Carly some take-out from Kelly’s, and Bobbie says Carly was about to tell her something about the baby. What’s going on with her grandchild? Carly says they know the sex of the baby, but decided not to tell anyone. Bobbie says Carly can’t even tell her own mother? and Carly says she wanted to, but she changed her mind. Bobbie says they’re not having a big reveal party, are they? Sonny says, absolutely not. Carly thinks it’s better to surprise the whole family, and Bobbie says, at least they’re all in the dark together. She’d love to stay, and weasel the truth out of Carly, but she has to get Wiley. She leaves, and Sonny says, Carly isn’t telling her mom? Carly says she thought about it, but the more she thought, the more it sense not to tell her. They won’t know the severity until the baby is born. It’s in her mom’s best interest. She’ll just hover, and Carly wants the next few weeks to be peaceful. Sonny says, all right then; it’s settled. They’ll wait until the baby is born.

Josslyn tells Dev, just being in that building brings up memories of Oscar. She’s constantly reminded that Oscar is gone. Dev says he’s sorry, but Josslyn says, it’s okay. It’s not, but she doesn’t want to stress out her parents. She doesn’t want to mess up too bad, or make them think she’s losing it. There’s no telling how far they’ll go if they think they need to protect her.

Carly hands Sonny the boarding school brochure, and asks what he thinks. He says, it seems good. Carly says she’s done research, and thinks it’s a perfect fit for Dev. She’s been in touch with the school, and spoke with the administrator. They’ll have to interview Dev personally, of course (🍷), but they’re open to taking him this semester, even before the holidays. Sonny says, stop, now. He never agreed to send Dev away.

Peter says he didn’t know Lulu and Dustin were serious. Lulu says, they’re not. Despite what Cupid has to say, they’re not a thing. Maxie says, they are. Lulu says, not serious enough to affect her career decisions. She doesn’t know what the conflict between her work and social life is. Theirs don’t conflict. Maxie says she’s not exactly hunting criminals, just those of the fashion variety. Lulu says she’s just second-in-command at a national fashion magazine. Peter says, only until she’s running her own fashion magazine. Lulu says, what’s that? and Maxie says, it’s nothing. Lulu says, it’s something. It’s something Maxie doesn’t want Peter to tell her. Is she leaving Crimson?

Miss Soto asks if he’s sure Sam was aware of the connection. He says she confronted him directly, but he assured her that he’d long since forgiven her. She didn’t believe him, and did everything in her power to remove him from Port Charles. Jennifer objects, saying Sam isn’t on trial, but Miss Soto says, it’s motive. Sam would have reason to fabricate her allegations against Shiloh. The judge says, sustained, and tells the jury to disregard speculation with regard to Sam. Miss Soto has no further questions. Jennifer says Shiloh stated everyone in DoD was equal. That’s actually not true, is it? Some were more equal than others. How did the Trust operate? He says it was the highest level of the organization. Jennifer says, and Trust members were expected to have sex with him? He stammers, and she says, yes or no? Did the initiation into the Trust conclude with them having sex with him? He says, it has on occasion, and Jennifer says, how many times? Five? Ten? Fifty? Give her a number. He says he doesn’t keep track of that sort of thing. She shows the court a stack of papers, and asks if these sworn affidavits, given by his victims, will sharpen his memory. How many women were initiated into the Trust? How many were ordered to drink the drugged tea to lower their inhibitions? We flash back Kristina’s initiation. Jennifer asks, how many did he mark with his tattoo? We flash back to Sam’s initiation. Jennifer asks, how many did he sexually assault? We flash back to Shiloh finding Willow in her classroom. She says she wants him to leave, and he says that’s not what he wants. She made a promise to never leave him, and she broke that promise. Miss Sotto objects, and Jennifer says, withdrawn.

The judge adjourns for the day. The defendant is remanded to Pentenville. Shiloh is cuffed, and taken out. Chase tells Willow, she was amazing. He’s proud of her. Kristina says she could use a drink, or two, or ten. She asks Willow, any interest? Willow suggests they get the hell out of there. Chase says he’ll text her, they exchange I love yous, and Chase leaves. Spinelli tells Jason and Sam, it was a most satisfying day. Shiloh looked trapped. Sam says she should have known Shiloh was going to use her past against her; he always has another card to play. Jason says her testimony was strong, but they have to cover every possible angle. He tells Spinelli to investigate the connection between Peter and Shiloh. He asks if Sam is okay, and she says she can’t believe he used her past against her. I’m not sure why. He says they knew this was coming when Shiloh opted to stand trial. His only hope is to cast doubt on the witnesses. Sam says she can’t let it get to her. Not after what he did to Kristina.

Sketch guy approaches the guard with Shiloh in the hallway. He says, the warden wants this to be a two man operation.

Carly thought they were on the same page, but Sonny says, obviously not. He didn’t think she was going to schedule an interview. She says nothing has been scheduled. She just got available times. He doesn’t think it’s right to send Dev off. Maybe he’s wrong. She says she doesn’t know what he wants her to do. She won’t ask Josslyn to continue to lie, and she won’t do it to Dev either. He knows his presence there means Josslyn has to lie. Sonny says he knows he’s asking a lot for Josslyn to be patient during this arrangement. Carly says, it’s not sustainable. He says, maybe they could consider letting Josslyn move in with Jax for a while.

Josslyn doesn’t want to talk about school, and asks Dev to talk about literally anything else. How is it working in the warehouse? Dev says, fine, and she wonders if he can be more vague. He says, things are okay, and she tells him that he’s going to flunk English if he doesn’t expand his vocabulary. How’s it really going? He says, good so far, but he feels like not relating, the way some people talk to him. Josslyn asks if they talk down to him, and he says they think Sonny made up the position to keep him busy. He feels like he’s in the way. Not just at the warehouse but at home too.

Peter says, it just came out, and Lulu says, this is happening? Maxie says, nothing is happening. She’s not leaving Crimson. Peter is fixated on the idea that she can run her own magazine. Lulu asks why Maxie is reluctant, and Maxie says she’s happy at Crimson, and she loves working with Nina. Lulu asks if she doesn’t want more. Maxie tells Peter, now that he hijacked their catch-up session, she’s politely asking him to leave. He gets up, puts his jacket on, and tells Lulu, one more thing. She shouldn’t rock the boat at work until he’s had a chance to speak with her editor. She thanks him, and says she’d love to get back to crime. She’s love to cover the Shiloh trial. He says, too dark, but she says, it’s torture waiting for other reports instead of just being there. He says he knows the feeling. In the hallway, he flashes back to Shiloh threatening him, saying he’s an eyewitness. Peter can deny it, but with his track record, who would believe him? Especially not that cutie he brought to the Nurses Ball, Maxie Jones. Shiloh says he wants the hell out, and Peter is going to make it happen.

The real guard says, the warden didn’t say anything, but sketch guy says, with all the media attention the case is getting, and all the crazies coming out of the woodwork, he thought there should be help just in case. The guard says, whatever the warden wants. Sketch guy’s phone rings, and he says he needs to take the call. Start the van, and he’ll be out in a second. It’s Peter, and sketch guy says, the situation is being handled. Peter says, it had better be finished by the end of the trial. Keep him posted. Peter turns around, and Spinelli is standing there.

Carly says Sonny wants Josslyn to move in with Jax? He thinks it’s the least damaging thing for her and Dev. Carly tells him to forget that idea; it’s not happening. She won’t help Dev at Josslyn’s expense. He says he never meant to prioritize Dev; he was just thinking out loud. She tells him, keep thinking. That plan doesn’t work for their family. This is Josslyn’s home, and it will devastate Avery. The first thing she does in the morning is ask where Josslyn is. He says he would never sacrifice their family for Dev. He’s just trying to help the kid out. Carly gets that, but he’s not Dev’s father. Maybe the best way to protect Dev is keep him at a distance. He says he’s not hanging Dev out to dry, but she says they would never do that. He says, sending Dev to boarding school feels that way, but she says, they’d be sending him to a place to create the life he wants. He won’t have to worry about fielding questions about his past. He’d be free. Why she thinks he wouldn’t be fielding questions at another school, I don’t know.

Josslyn says he’s not getting in the way, but Dev says it’s not fair for her to lie. It’s a lot. He appreciates everything they’ve done for him. Josslyn knows he’s grateful, and he says he’s serious. He wants her to know it’s meant a lot – whatever happens. She asks what that means, and he says, it just means that anything can happen to anyone at any time. He doesn’t want to go another day without apologizing. He’s sorry he was a jerk at the beginning. If he suddenly wasn’t around, he’d want her to know how much it meant to him. Josslyn tells him to stop auditioning. He already booked the gig. He’s not going anywhere. She says she’s heading home, and asks if he’s coming. He says he’s staying there. He’s hoping inspiration will strike. She says she’ll see him at home – where he’s not getting in the way.

Lulu asks Maxie to tell her about the new job opportunity. Maxie says there isn’t one, and Lulu says, not until she leaves Crimson. Maxie asks why she would do that. It’s part of her DNA. She asks if Lulu remembers when they were both assistants. Lulu knows Maxie is passionate about it, but she’s not obligated to stay. Maxie says her own fashion magazine is a fantasy. There’s no offer on the table. Starting a magazine is asking to fail. Lulu asks what she’d do if she was put in charge, and Maxie says, it would have to be online. Crimson has an online presence, but she’d want the site to be the crux of the enterprise. She’s want to see a lifestyle brand. They’d do things like affordable concerts, interviews with influencers, the history of fashion designers. Lulu says, so she hasn’t thought about this at all.

Sam asks what Robert thinks. He says Shiloh’s testimony could have gone better, but thinks the jury will see through it. Jason hopes he’s right. Robert says they all want Shiloh brought to justice, but it has to be by the legal system. Not Jason’s personal brand.

Peter says Spinelli snuck up on him, and Spinelli says he’s well-versed the techniques of stealth and surveillance. He hopes he didn’t disturb Peter’s call. Peter says, it was business, and Spinelli wonders how Shiloh’s trial is business. Peter says Spinelli can read about it if he has The Invader online. Spinelli says he didn’t mean to overstep. He was just curious about Peter, since Peter is getting close with his daughter’s mother.

Robert hopes Jason isn’t planning retaliation. All eyes are on the trial. If something happens to Shiloh, the PCPD and his office will know where to start asking questions. He leaves, and Sam asks if he’s kidding. It’s an unfair, unnecessary lecture. Does he think Jason is going after Shiloh while he’s in custody? Jason says Robert thinks he wants Shiloh dead, which is true. He thinks Jason can get to him, which is also true. If the system fails, he’s going to deal with Shiloh personally. Robert can ask all the questions he wants, but there won’t be any proof. Chase sees them, and says, dammit! Shiloh is gone.

Sonny says he’ll keep an open mind, and Carly tells him, don’t take too long. They have to make a decision before the next semester. He promises a decision will be made before the baby is born. She says her goal isn’t to pick on Dev, or push him away. Her goal is to support her daughter. If Josslyn wants to divide her time between them and Jax at some point, they’ll have that conversation as a family. She’s not uprooting her daughter for Dev. She wants Josslyn to pick what’s right for herself.

Dev looks travel options from Port Charles to Montreal. Wow. The flights are pretty cheap. Like, thirty-nine bucks.

Maxie says, sorry to ramble, but Lulu says she’s not rambling. She sounds excited, and Lulu is proud of her. Maxie says she has a big notion of what she’d like to do, but she’s not an entrepreneur; she’s a fashion editor. She’s not qualified to launch a magazine. Lulu says, it sounded like a smart business plan. Maxie says Lulu is too kind. Lulu says when she was considering switching careers and becoming a journalist, it seemed like a pipe dream. But a close friend told her it took three things to make her dream a reality – talent, drive, and commitment – and Maxie has all three. Maxie says, she did say that, didn’t she? Lulu says, she did, and she was right. Maxie says it’s great to about it, but it’s not happening. She’s not leaving now; no way, not yet. The last few years have been rocky for her, and things are just settling down. Besides, she likes how much time she has to spend with James and Peter. Why jeopardize that?

Josslyn gets home, but no one is around. She sees the brochure, and says, boarding school?

Spinelli suggests he and Peter do a double date. Peter asks if Spinelli wants to go out with him and Maxie, but Spinelli says, and Ellie, of course (🍷). The next time they’re all in the same city, they can grab dinner. Peter says, sounds great. Spinelli says with the holidays coming, he’ll be back soon, and Peter suggests he run some dates by Maxie. She can set something up. Peter leaves, and after an extremely awkward moment with Peter waiting for the elevator doors to close, Spinelli makes a call. He says it’s the Jackal, and he needs a trace on a cell phone call.

Sam asks Chase how Shiloh could be gone? He was cuffed and under guard. Chase says, the van never made it back to Pentenville.

Bobbie is pulled over. She asks the officer if there’s a problem. The officer is Shiloh, and he says, afraid so.

On Monday, Finn wants to ask Peter some questions, Franco tells Elizabeth that she has no claim on him, Josslyn thinks she’s being sent away, and Bobbie calls for help.

🍰 If You Didn’t See It…

I missed the first hour of the MasterChef finale, but apparently, everything was getting so close, Joe resorted to complaining about plate colors. Some of the plates were truly unique. One looked like an open book – at least I hope it was a plate, and not really a book, which seems a little unsanitary. The other plate design that caught my eye had a pair of hands on it, which made it look like they were holding the food. Nick got the boot before the end, an undercooked piece of seabass being his undoing. The consolation prize was Joe offering to take Nick under his wing. It came down to Dorian and Sarah, and desserts. Dorian said her dessert was her way of bringing her mom into the kitchen, and Joe said when he ate her food, he got to know her better. She told her story on a plate, and it took major talent to do that. Sarah made some ganache, and I don’t really know what that is, but it was chocolate, and it looked amazing. Both Sarah and Dorian received a Viking kitchen, which was sweet, but would never even fit in my postage stamp sized kitchen. In the end, it was Dorian who got the quarter million, the trophy, and the chance to train in all three of the judges’ restaurants. At age 45, she was thrilled to prove you should always go after your dream. I’m sure Sarah won’t do too badly either. It’s like being one of the finalists on American Idol. There are still plenty of perks.

🍗 If you’re interested in auditioning for the next MasterChef, you can go to: masterchefcasting.com. I laughed to myself, thinking I should go in there and make boiled hot dogs and scrambled eggs.
