What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Portia storms into Jordan’s office and slams the door. Jordan asks what she’s doing, and Portia says, Curtis told her about their little divorce papers chat. How dare she? Jordan says, how dare she what? and Portia says, keep insinuating herself into Curtis’s life, and trying to make him doubt her. Jordan says, if Curtis doubts Portia, Portia’s doing that all on her own.

Ava walks down the hall at the hospital, connected to her… whatever that is, and Curtis asks if she’s trying to break out of here. She should be in her room. She says she couldn’t agree more, but her sadistic doctors won’t release her until she can walk a couple of laps around the nurses station on her own. She asks him to help her to the bench, and he says he will, and when she catches her breath, he’ll lead her back to her room. She says her room is a constant reminder that she’s in this hospital because somebody tried to kill her. They sit, and he says, she’s not the only one. She says, she heard – Brando Corbin, and he says, and Diane Miller. She was attacked earlier this evening.

At Maxie’s place, she tells Austin that she’s really sorry about their change in plans, but he says, don’t be. He really likes a nice quiet evening. She says, James and Bailey Lou are asleep, and when Georgie settles down, they’ll have this place to themselves. He says he likes the sound of that, and they kiss. Spinelli walks in from the bedrooms.

Sam asks Michael if he’s okay, and he says he will be, once Diane is out of the OR and made a full recovery. She says, her too, but she hasn’t heard anything yet. He says, he heard Diane was attacked in Brando’s garage, and she tells him, that’s what her mom said; she and Gregory found Diane. He says, that must be rough. He knows Diane and Alexis are best friends. How’s her mom doing? She says, as usual, her mom doesn’t want to talk about herself because she’s so focused on Diane, but she’s actually at the paper right now. She’s determined to do something, anything, to help. Her mom did want her to check in with any updates. He asks what Diane was doing in Brando’s garage alone, and she says, all she knows is that Diane wasn’t alone. Dex was with her.

Dante looks at crime scene photos, when there’s a knock at the door. He tells them to come in, and an officer says, his stepsister is asking to speak to him. Dante says, just give him a minute, and puts everything back into the folders. The officer lets Josslyn in, and Dante gives him the folders, asking him to give them to the desk sergeant to give to the Commissioner. He closes the door, and asks Josslyn, what’s going on? She says, it’s about the attack on Brando, but he says he already told her he can’t talk about it. She says she knows, and isn’t asking him to share evidence. She’s here to share some evidence of her own

Dex hangs with his arms over his head, his wrists duct taped together. Sonny comes in, and Dex says, he has this all wrong. Sonny asks why he should believe anything that comes out of Dex’s lying mouth, and Dex says, Sonny told him to lock up. That’s when he found her, he swears. Sonny says, Dex is lying to him again. Dex obviously doesn’t take him seriously. That’s a huge mistake. Huge.

Portia asks what she’s doing that’s so untrustworthy, and Jordan says, Portia knows what she’s referring to. Portia says she so sick of Jordan’s pointed comments, the little jabs Jordan keeps throwing at her. If there’s something Jordan wants to say to her, come right out and say it. Jordan asks if Curtis is Trina’s father.

Trina sees Ava, and says she hoped Ava would have waited for her before she got out of bed, but Ava says she was ordered out of bed. She asks Curtis if she and Trina could have a few minutes to speak in private, and Curtis gets up. He asks Trina where Joss and Cam are. Rory said he left them all at the hatchet range. Trina says, they had things to do, and he says, there’s a lunatic stabbing people in Port Charles. She can’t be walking around here alone.

Spinelli clears his throat, and Maxie says, hi. Is Georgie all set? He says, she’s all tucked in and waiting for her goodnight kiss from mom, and Maxie asks him to promise to let her know if there’s any news on Diane. Austin says, for what it’s worth (🍷), he’s sorry about what happened to Spinelli’s friend, and Spinelli says, he’s very kind. Spinelli leaves, and when he closes the door, Cody comes up behind him in the hallway. Cody says, good to see him, and Spinelli says he wishes he could say the same. State his business. Cody says, Maxie Jones lives here, right? He needs to talk to her. Spinelli says, that is not going to happen. You shall not pass. He stands as if he’s a guard holding a sword.

Michael says, so Dex had Diane’s blood on his hands, and Sam says, literally. He says, that makes sense. He helped Joss get Ava to the hospital, so he probably helped Diane, and she says, but where was he when Diane got attacked? He said he didn’t see anything. How is that even possible? Michael asks if she knows whether Dex was brought in for questioning, and she says she assumes he will be, but she doesn’t know for sure. Michael says, let’s just hope Diane pulls through, and Sam says, especially since Brando came up against the same attacker, and lost.

Josslyn tells Dante, she was in the alley behind Charlie’s just before Brando. Why him and not her? Dante says, there’s no reason to believe that Josslyn is a target, but she says, Ava, Brando, and Diane all have ties to Sonny; so does she. He says, that link to Sonny is just one avenue of the investigation. That’s why he’s here so late; he’s trying to figure this all out. What’s the evidence she’s got? She says she remembered something that happened right before she left the alley. Maybe it’s not important. He says, why doesn’t she tell him, and they can figure out if it’s important. Did she see something? She says, no. It was something that she heard.

Ray punches Dex in the gut a couple of times, and Sonny says, that’s enough… for now. Dex says he told Sonny everything, but Sonny says he disagrees. He’s never been able to shake the fact that Dex has been hiding something, but he gave Dex the benefit of the doubt. And now he’s been nearby either before or after three attacks. Can Dex answer him that? Dex says he’s not a killer. He tried to save both Ava and Diane. What can he say to get Sonny to believe him? Sonny says, just answer his question; why did Dex start working for him? Dex says, when he filled in at the gym, he saw how everyone respected Sonny, but Sonny says he doesn’t believe that. Dex was always pushy, trying to be around him. Why? Dex says he admires Sonny, and respects him. Sonny built himself up from nothing. Sonny says, why? and Dex says he wants to learn from Sonny. Sonny says, so Dex can use it against him?

Cody says, Spinelli should be nicer to him, considering he has information that can put Spinelli in some really hot water. Spinelli says he already bought Cody’s silence, by tampering with Britt Westbourne’s Society Set-Ups profile to make her match with Cody. Cody can’t keep holding what he knows over Spinelli’s head. Cody says, stay out of his way and he won’t have to.

Portia says her daughter is none of Jordan’s business, banging her hands on the desk, and Jordan says, Portia is the one barging into her office, making it her business. And she certainly thinks Trina’s paternity is Curtis’s business. Portia says she doesn’t need a lecture from Jordan, and Jordan says, both Trina and Curtis deserve to know the truth. She’s not saying it to hurt Portia, but the truth has a way of coming out. Portia says, this is about Curtis, and how Jordan keeps running around behind him; that’s what this is about. Why doesn’t Jordan just admit it? Tell her the truth. Jordan wants her ex-husband back, doesn’t she?

Curtis says, Trina should know better than to walk around alone these days, and she says she does. Taggert joins them, and says he just found parking in the garage. He asks what he missed, and Trina tells Curtis that her dad is with her. She’s not stupid. Ava thinks she should get back to her room, and asks if Trina would give her a hand. Trina says, of course (🍷), and leaves with Ava. Taggert asks, what was that? and Curtis says, that was him, possibly being a bit hasty. He’s just trying to keep Trina safe. He didn’t mean to overstep. Taggert says, it’s cool. Too bad Curtis never had kids. He’s got this dad thing down pat.

Maxie comes into the living room, and tells Austin, sorry about that. Georgie wanted her to check in her closet for monsters, then read her two more stories, then check under her bed; she’s impossible. He says, she’s not impossible. Resistance is learned a little bit at a time, and she’s a little girl who wants her mom to herself. Maxie says, she will get over her… He says, resistance? and she says, her shyness with him. Sometime in the not too distant future. She hopes. He says he hopes so too. Here they are again. He leans in for a kiss, when there’s a knock at the door. Maxie tells him, hold that thought, and opens the door to Cody, who says, hi, sis.

Sonny says, the day Ava was attacked, Dex made sure he was the one who delivered the Corinthos Coffee donations. Why was he so eager to visit the Quartermaine estate? Dex flashes back to telling Michael that Sonny was digging into his background, and Michael says, Dex’s past is part of the reason he hired Dex. Dex wonders if almost being court marshalled for striking a superior officer is a selling point, and Michael says, in this this case, yes. Dex protecting a family the same way Sonny wanted to protect his mother from his stepfather will only further his opinion of Dex, and Sonny will trust him more. In the present, Sonny says, it looks like Dex was casing the place, trying to figure out how to attack Ava, and Dex says he wanted to deliver the donations because he thought Sonny would be there. Like he said, he wanted to prove himself. Sonny laughs, and asks if Ray believes him. Ray shakes his head, and Sonny says, him neither. Dex asks what Sonny is going to do; just keep beating him until he confesses to something he didn’t do? Sonny says, no, not at all. He’s going to bring in a ringer; someone who’s known to get results.

On the phone, Michael asks if Dex Heller is in custody… He left?

Sam asks how Spinelli is, and he says he’s deeply concerned about Diane, and distraught that this could happen to anyone, let alone her. He wonders if it was a crime opportunity, or were Ava, Brando, and Diane were targeted. She says, they both know they all have the same person in common, when Michael joins them. He says he’s glad Spinelli is here, and Spinelli says, she’s been a steadfast friend, and a loyal defender. The least he can do is be in the waiting area, so here he is. Michael says he’d like to stay, but something’s come up. Can they text him if there’s an update? Sam says, of course (🍷). Is everything okay? Michael says, it’s fine. It’s a misunderstanding, and he’s just trying to get some facts straight. Sam says, okay, and he leaves.

Maxie asks what Cody is talking about, and he asks if he can come in. She says, sure, and asks if Austin remembers Cody from the Quartermaine picnic. Austin says, sure do. He was the guy who was trying to give pork to his girlfriend. Cody laughs, and says, they were never formally introduced. He holds out his hand, and says he’s Cody Bell. Dr. Holt, right? Austin shakes Cody’s hand, and says, Dr. Gatlin-Holt. Cody says, Gatlin, and Austin says, Dr. Gatlin-Holt, that’s him. Maxie asks why Cody called her sis. Did Mac talk to him? Thank goodness. She’s so glad this is finally out in the open. Cody says, what’s out in the open? and Maxie says, oh boy. Cody says, she really thinks Mac Scorpio is his dad?

Back in Ava’s hospital room, Trina gives Ava a glass of water, and Ava says, Trina texted that she wanted to talk. Is this about Rory or Spencer or what? Trina says, Cameron actually, and Ava says, okay. Trina says, Ava knows how Spencer was only pretending to believe she was guilty so he could work Esme into incriminating herself, and Ava says, yeah. That kind of convoluted thinking happens to be a Cassadine trait. Trina says, early on, Spencer told Cameron the truth, and Ava asks, how early? Trina says, not long after she was arrested. Spencer told Cameron, but swore him to secrecy. Spencer thought if anyone knew, Esme would figure it out. Who knows? Maybe he was right, but it bothers her that Cameron kept the secret. Ava asks if she’s told Cameron any of this, and she says, they just talked about it after Josslyn left the hatchet range. She told him how she felt, he heard her, and apologized. Now they’re good. Ava says she’s glad, and Trina says, her too. Ava was so supportive when Trina was trying to figure out her feelings for Cam, she wishes she’d told Ava sooner. No thanks to Curtis. Can Ava believe the way he jumped on her? Ava says she thinks Curtis is just trying to protect her, and Trina says she just got used to living in a new house with Curtis and her mom, and now she’s back in the dorms. When he and her mom get married, he’s going to be her stepdad. Ava says, that sounds good, and Trina says, it is. She really likes Curtis. It’s just that he treats her like she’s 12. Ava tells her to try and be patient. Trina has her mom and dad, and Ava. Now she has Curtis too. Is that so bad?

Jordan tells Portia, she’s not following Curtis. This conversation started because she’s very much still in his life; they’re still married. Portia says, because Jordan conveniently forgot to file the divorce papers, but Jordan says, it was a mistake. She’s sorry for the trouble it’s caused Curtis. She doesn’t want to make his life more difficult. Portia asks, then why is Jordan hinting around to Curtis that she’s lying to him? It makes no sense. Jordan says she asked Portia if Curtis was Trina’s father, and hasn’t heard a denial, so it’s obvious Portia is hiding something.

Curtis says, he hopes after surgery, Diane is able to identify her attacker, and Taggert asks what Curtis is thinking. Male, female? He wonders what the pattern is. Curtis says, motives, and were the attacks random or deliberate? Taggert says, it did happen on the Quartermaine grounds, behind Charlie’s Pub… Curtis says, also Brando’s garage. This attacker seems to be acting out of rage, especially considering the weapon – a slaughtering hook? Taggert says he tried to get Trina to go out of town for a couple of weeks, and Curtis says he’s guessing that was met with an adamant no. Taggert says, she absolutely refuses leave college, especially after last semester and the time she lost with the trial. Curtis says he understands Trina not wanting to disrupt her sophomore year, especially after the rough summer she had. Taggert says, how about if he takes weekdays and Curtis takes weekends? They’ll make sure Trina is covered 24/7. Curtis says, you know what? He can think of a way to keep Trina safer in Port Charles.

Dante asks if Josslyn heard a voice, but she says, it wasn’t a voice; it was a sound. The sound of jingling, like metal pieces rattling together. He asks when she heard it, and she says, it was after she left Charlie’s; she was crossing the alley. He says, there’s a dumpster in the alley. Could it have been a homeless person kicking around some cans? She says, nobody else was in the alley, and he says, except for maybe Dex? She says she never saw Dex there. She saw him leave Charlie’s. He headed out the back entrance, and she also saw he left his sunglasses. So she grabbed them and followed him to give them back. She went out the back, but he wasn’t there. Dante says, maybe he just wasn’t visible, and she asks if he thinks the sounds she heard were coming from Dex. That he was somewhere in the alley, and when Brando followed after her… He tells her, he didn’t say it. She just did.

A new man comes into the room, and Sonny says, he could let Ray keep beating Dex up, but he won’t get the answers he needs. So this is Carver. They haven’t worked together personally, but he comes highly recommended by the Wu family. He’s well known for getting people to talk… by any means necessary. There’s a knock at the door, and Frank says, Michael is here. He wants to talk to Sonny. Sonny says, that’s unfortunate. He’s got a matter he’s got to deal with. So Ray, watch the door, and let Dex get acquainted with Carver.

Taggert says, what’s the plan? and Curtis says, they’ll make sure Trina sticks around GH after she sees Ava. Trina comes back, and says, Ava’s resting, and she thinks she’s going to go check on Diane to see if she’s out of surgery. Taggert says he’ll go with her, and Curtis says he’s going to head out. Trina’s mom says she’s home tonight and not at the dorm, so he’ll see her then. Taggert tells Trina, let’s go see Diane, and they leave.

Sam asks how Georgie handled the disruption of the evening with her father, and Spinelli says he told her that Diane was in the hospital; leaving out some details of course (🍷). She agreed he should be here for Diane, so they rescheduled their viewing for another time. Sam says, viewing? and Spinelli says he hasn’t told her. He’s mentoring his progeny on a tour of a certain galaxy far, far away. Rest assured, Georgie will see every original, sequel, prequel, in-between-quel in the Star Wars universe. She asks who Georgie’s favorite character is, and Spinelli says, Princess Leia Organa, closely followed by Yoda, with a certain fondness for Darth Vader. He shrugs, and Sam asks if Georgie knows. He says, that he was once Anakin? Of course (🍷). They’re watching the cannon in order. She’s got a tender heart and a hopeful spirit. She insists Darth Vader can be redeemed, and she likes his helmet. Sam says she bets Georgie gets that perspective from him, but he says he tries not to influence her with his likes and dislikes. The joy is in watching her experience the storytelling universe that brought him such joy. She says, he’s really a good dad, and he says he’s blessed with an amazing daughter, and equally fortunate to have a co-parent like her amazing mother. She asks if Maxie is okay, waiting alone for the news on Diane, but he says, she’s not alone. Dr. Gatlin-Holt is keeping her company. Sam asks how it’s going with Georgie and Austin. Their last conversation, Spinelli told her that Georgie was having a problem sharing her mom with Austin. He says, Georgie’s still not a fan, despite the efforts of the good doctor. Sam says, and she’s not being influenced by anyone? and Spinelli says, there’s no need. Georgie is an excellent judge of character. Sam says she’s sure Georgie is, and he says, it’s possible she may have picked up on his own… Sam says, jealousy, at the same time he says, reservations.

Portia says she hasn’t denied Jordan’s allegation because she doesn’t owe Jordan an answer, and Jordan says, she does owe Curtis one. The timing works because Portia and Curtis were involved about twenty years ago. Portia says, she and Taggert were together another three years after Curtis left her. Taggert has been Trina’s dad her whole life. Jordan says, they both know what Portia said in the basement last year, and she knows Portia’s been looking into genetic counseling for Trina. Portia says, how could Jordan possibly… and Jordan says, is Portia afraid Trina may have inherited the predisposition for schizophrenia from Curtis’s side of the family?

There’s a knock at Ava’s door, and she says, come in and distract her. Curtis comes in, and asks if they can talk. Ava says, of course (🍷). What’s on his mind? He says, keeping Trina safe, and she says she’s all for that. How can she help? He says, she needs to fire Trina.

Maxie tells Cody that he just said Mac was his dad, and Cody says he was bluffing. No one will give him a straight answer. She asks if he’s even talked to Mac, and he says, no. She says, he should really do that, but he says he wants more information before doing that. So what does she know? She says, this was way before her time, and he says, like that would stop her. He’s asked around town, and she has a reputation of knowing everything there is to know in Port Charles. She says, this is true. Okay. From what she’s heard, Mac and Dominique fell in love. Cody says, here in Port Charles? but she says, no, somewhere else. Mac was on the run when he met Dominque, and Dominique was married to Leopold Taub, who was apparently the absolute worst. He says he’s aware, and she says, then Taub died. She’s a little fuzzy on that part, because he was part of an evil cartel or something like that. Anyway, the good news is, with him out of the way, Dominique was able to come back to Port Charles, where she was reunited with Mac. He says he knows they didn’t live happily ever after, but Mac never said anything about having a kid? She says, Mac didn’t know Dominique had a baby, and he tells her, so he says, but she says, Mac’s not a liar. He’s the best man she knows, and Cody would be lucky to have him as a dad.

Sonny says, what a surprise, and Michael says, Ava was attacked, Brando’s dead, and Diane is in the hospital. Sonny says, his people are monitoring her condition, and Michael says, Ava, Brando, and Diane have one thing in common, and that’s Sonny. Sonny asks if Michael heard what he said; he’s handling it. Michael asks what that means, and Sonny laughs. Michael says, does Sonny know who the killer is?

Josslyn tells Dante, no way. Dex is not behind these attacks. Dante says he’s open to everything until it’s ruled out. He messes with one of the folders, and she asks, what is that? He says, it’s the file on Brando’s attack. When Brando woke up in the hospital, he told Jordan that he remembered a sound, and described what she’s talking about; like metal clicking. She says, so then she’s onto something? and he says, Dex was in the military; he still wears dog tags. Josslyn flashes back to returning Dex’s sunglasses at the pool, and seeing him wearing the dog tags. Dante asks if she thinks the sound she and Brando heard could have been Dex’s dog tags, and she says, it could have been tags on a dog’s collar, but he says, there were no dogs in the alley. She says, Dex wasn’t there either, and how does Dante know he still wears these tags? Dante says, he’s seen them, and he thinks she has too.

Carver wheels a cart over, and unwraps his cache of knives. Dex says, Carver can skip the theatrics; he knows the drill. Carver says he’s not sure what Dex means, and Dex says, he unpacks his knives, and tries to get Dex to break before he even starts cutting. Which would probably work if he knew anything worth knowing. He’d tell Carver, but he doesn’t want information. Carver says, he doesn’t want anything; Mr. Corinthos does. He’s just the facilitator. Dex says, Mr. Corinthos wants to know who stabbed those people; he didn’t do it.

Ava tells Curtis that she can’t fire Trina. Trina is like a daughter to her. Not to mention the fact she happens to be very good at her job, and she’s getting college credit for her work at the gallery. He says he understands, but Ava’s attacker hasn’t been caught yet. She says, and he thinks they may come back and finish the job, and he says he doesn’t know. But while there’s still a chance, he thinks Trina should stay as far away from Ava as possible. What if her attacker shows up at the gallery, and Trina happens to be there?

Portia says, Jordan has done quite a bit of investigating into her personal life, hasn’t she? She hopes Jordan didn’t use her position as Police Commissioner to gain access to her personal medical files. Jordan says she would never, and Portia asks how she knows about the genetic testing then? I’m trying to figure out why that would be in Portia’s medical files, but okay. Jordan says, she came across this information by accident. Portia is trying to make this about her, but she needs to take a good look at her own actions. She thought Portia loved Curtis. Portia says she does, and Jordan says she can’t marry Curtis with this hanging over her. Portia asks if that’s a threat.

Spinelli tells Sam, after losing Ellie, his feelings for Maxinista may have been rebooted. She says, may? and he says, all right. He has feelings for Maxie, not just because they co-parent their incredible daughter, and not because of their platonic, yet equally incredible, friendship. Can Sam blame him? She says, of course (🍷) she doesn’t blame him. She’s not even surprised. He and Maxie have shared so much for such a long time. Is he going to tell her how he feels? He says he just thinks now isn’t the right time. She seems really happy with Austin, and he’s trying to move on. She says, any luck with Society Set-Ups? but he says, so far his true match has eluded him. She says, Britt isn’t his match? and he says, a passing fancy, and realistically too tall for him. So he’ll continue his search, but he fears Maxie is the one. He can’t tell Sam how tempting it is to see if he and Maxie are a match, but he’s resisted thus far. She asks how he’d know he and Maxie were a match. She’s not a client at Society Set-Ups, is she? He tells her that he really couldn’t say, and she says, Zelda wouldn’t be able to match Maxie with him because they don’t know each other. She’s not even sure about Zelda’s matchmaking skills anyway, but he says, Society Set-Ups has had great success. If you go to their website, you can see they’ve made hundreds of compatible matches. She says she knows he’s a romantic… He says, it’s science, and she asks what he’s talking about. What hasn’t he been telling her? He says, all right; the truth. Zelda Telesco is merely a front. She’s not the matchmaker – he is.

Sonny asks why Michael is here, and Michael says, three people have been attacked, and they all have ties to Sonny. He’s asking Sonny what he knows about it. Sonny says, all of his people are doing everything they can to find out who did this, and Michael says, the PCPD brought in Dex Heller for questioning. Sonny asks where Michael heard that, and Michael says, Dex used his one phone call to contact Sonny. Sonny showed up and got him released. Sonny says, Dex works for him; he takes care of his people. Michael asks what kind of care Dex is getting at the moment. Did Sonny pick Dex up because he thinks he’s innocent, or because Sonny thinks he’s guilty, and plans on dealing with Dex himself?

Jordan tells Portia, it’s not a threat. She thinks they both need to cool down. Portia says, really? It sounds like Jordan is saying she’s going to Curtis with her suspicions if she doesn’t speak up. Is that what Jordan is going to do?

On the phone, Ava says, always a pleasure… You too. She tells Curtis, all set, and he says, this is for the best. He’s glad they both agree. She says, the last thing she wants is for anything to happen to Trina, and he says, what matters is keeping Trina safe. He leaves, and she goes back to her phone.

Sam tells Spinelli, back up. Is he saying he works for Zelda? He says, no. Zelda works for him. He hired her. He’s not just a client of Society Set-Ups; he’s the owner as well. She says she still doesn’t get it, and he says, he is Society Set-Ups. Society Set-Ups is him. And if anyone finds out, he’ll end up in federal prison.

Austin says, it’s a lot to take in, and Cody says he doesn’t know what to believe. Maxie says, again, he really needs to talk to Mac, and Cody says, yeah, okay. She says she doesn’t understand his attitude. Mac is the best dad, and Leopold was some kind of monster. How can he want to be Leopold’s son?

Trina says she got Ava’s text; what’s wrong? Did she try to walk again, and tire herself out? Ava says, no, she’s fine, but Trina says, something’s wrong. She can see Ava is upset. Ava says she is. Because she can’t be Trina’s boss any longer.

Sonny says, Michael made it clear he doesn’t want him in his life. So don’t come to him when he wants a problem solved. Michael says, to concerns him because Ava is Avery’s mother, and he cares about Avery. Brando was extended family, and Sasha, who he cares about, is now a widow. And Diane has not only done amazing things for him in court, she’s also a friend, someone he looks up to and admires. Now she’s fighting for her life in the hospital, and guess what? Sonny is the common denominator. The police aren’t questioning Sonny about any rivals or enemies or targeting people close to him. Instead they brought in Dex Heller, a guy who drives Sonny’s car. Now, Dex seems to have vanished after leaving the PCPD with Sonny. Sonny tells him, go home. This doesn’t concern him. Michael asks if Sonny is sure he has the right guy. What makes him think Dex is guilty? Sonny asks, what’s Dex to Michael? Why does he care what happens to Dex?

Dante says, the night Dex found Josslyn, and they were working together to stop Ava bleeding, does she remember what he wore? She says, the usual; jeans, white T-shirt. He asks if Dex had his dog tags on under the shirt, and she says, they were trying to save Ava. How is she supposed to remember something like that? He says, Dex was wearing a white T-shirt. Was it clean? She says, yeah. Why?

Carver says, Mr. Corinthos has informed him that Dex has been evading his questions, but Dex says he hasn’t evaded anything. He’s been telling the truth, and when Mr. Corinthos figures that out, Carver will be out of a job. Carver says, Dex says a lot without saying much at all. That’s good. He likes to take his time.

Tomorrow, Jordan tells Portia that one day this will come back to haunt her; Maxie promises Cody won’t regret it; Dante thinks someone’s instincts are right; and Sonny asks why Michael thinks Dex is innocent.

💎In the interest of getting the hell to bed, I didn’t proof read RHOBH. I think it’s all good, but no italic quotes, so please bear with that.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Dorit tells Phoenix that Kyle is calling, but she’s filming a scary movie, so Phoenix can’t see. Phoenix is bummed, but goes somewhere else. Dorit says, Kyle is in character, which she seems to have confused with being in costume. She asks how Kyle is feeling, and Kyle says, good. They’ve been doing night shoots, and she’s having coffee. She’s in Georgia, so it’s three hours later. Dorit says, Kyle missed Crystal’s birthday. It was fun. It was a good evening until it took a turn. LisaR left early, and Erika said LisaR was still upset about Kathy’s behavior. Kyle says, it was mostly directed at her, and she did nothing wrong. Dorit says, Kathy was seeing red, and it’s easiest to pick on someone in the family. They’ll get over it; they’ve been through worse. In Kyle’s interview, she says, LisaR told her about being with Kathy at the house in Aspen, and Kathy saying things about her. LisaR didn’t want to say exactly what to spare Kyle’s feelings. Kyle doesn’t want to get to a place where she and Kathy can’t repair things, so maybe it’s best she doesn’t know. Kyle shows Dorit her nose ring for the film, and Dorit tells her, please don’t come back with a broken nose. Kyle’s not doing another nose job.

Erika virtually meets with her therapist Dr. Jenn Mann. In Erika’s interview, she says, she’s gone to therapy off and on for the last three years, but since she moved out and filed for divorce, she’s made it a regular thing. She tells Dr. Jenn that she wants the ability to move on. Last year, it was easier because she could see the finish line. Now that everything is settling in, it’s difficult to accept. Dr. Jenn tells her to keep in mind the grieving process. She’s grieving the loss of a marriage, and the loss of a husband as she thought him to be. Their marriage had problems before this happened, but Tom wasn’t who she thought he was. As difficult as he was, this behavior is on a whole other level. She has to grieve the husband she hoped and thought he was and would be. In her interview, Erika says, she misses the Tom that was. He was loving, and a good time. He had a beautiful smile and blue eyes. He made everyone feel good. He was magic. We flash back to Tom being magic, and I have to admit, as much as I don’t like her, I’ve never doubted Erika really loved him. She says, as sweet as he could be, he could flip, and it was ugly. We flash back to Tom chastising Erika for interjecting in a conversation between him and LVP, and she says, that motherf***er was mean. Dr. Jenn says, she lost a marriage, financial security and she lost her friend. She has to figure out what to do with the feelings. People were harmed by someone she loved. Erika says, it’s not a popular opinion, but she was harmed too. In her interview, she says, Tom thought the rules didn’t apply to him. She wants to believe it just got away from him, and it wasn’t orchestrated. She tells the doctor that she’s risking becoming hateful and mean; something she doesn’t want to be. She’s easily provoked. Dr. Jenn says, Erika grew up hiding her feelings, and this reinforced her negative beliefs and thoughts. Erika says, it’s reinforced the publics beliefs, and the doctor tells her to stop running. She’s afraid, and Dr. Jenn doesn’t blame her. It’s okay; she’s human. Erika says she’s so afraid, and Dr. Jenn says, she needs to operate on the assumption that people are going to come at her. Her attitude has to change to acceptance. It lasts the shortest when we resist the least, and lasts longest when we don’t face it.

Erika gets ready for her Pretty Mess Hair pop-up event, which is outside. In Erika’s interview, she says, a lot of articles have surfaced about Kathy’s behavior at the club. We see headlines about Kathy asking the DJ to play Billie Jean, and Erika says she doesn’t know how they got the level of detail. A reporter asks how she’s doing, and she tells them, things are not hunky dory. In her interview, she says, it’s a juicy story. Kathy fighting with the manager, screaming in Kyle’s face, and acting like an a-hole. People saw it. She says she wanted to make the pop-up casual; have some fun and get some hair. We see a clip of her business meeting, where she suggests inviting the ladies and their stylists, and her idea is met with enthusiasm. The women trickle in, and Erika says, Sutton rose above her (meaning Erika’s) petty ass. She’s glad Sutton is here; she appreciates it. In Sutton’s interview, she says she wants Erika to be successful, and beat all of this. She wants Erika to show the world you can do right, get yourself together, and rebuild. Erika tells Sutton, if she didn’t care, it wouldn’t have hurt, and in her interview, Sutton says, by showing up, she’s telling Erika, she can do it. Sutton tells Erika that she does her hair and makeup when the rest of them do. She doesn’t know anything about this stuff. The women ooh and ah over the hair, and pick extensions out. LisaR says, when they’re at home, Harry likes her au natural. Crystal says, Rob likes glam, and Dorit says, PK likes the drama. In Dorit’s interview, she says, PK loves her dressing up so much, he said he’d love to see her doing the dishes in high heels. She’d love to see him doing a dish once, ever. Elton John gives Diane a call to thank her for coming on board with the Oscars. In Diane’s interview, she says she lived in London across from a china store. She and Elton both collect fine china, and she walked in wearing a fur coat and flip flops, looking crazy. It was love at first sight. She has many stories with Elton and his husband David, but she’s not sure she can share. Dorit asks LisaR how she’s doing; she left Crystal’s party without saying goodbye. LisaR says, that’s not something she’d do normally, but in that moment, she had to go. She cared about Kathy, and doesn’t know what she had to do with it. Dorit says, Kathy called and told her that she remembers everything. She’s not proud of her behavior, and was apologetic. LisaR tells her, Kathy should say that to her, and Dorit says, that’s what she told her. In LisaR’s interview, she says, Kathy sent her a text telling her, please don’t say anything about what they discussed. Otherwise, it will make a huge scene, and everyone will get dragged in. No bueno. Another text says: Please it goes further than you would want to know. Silence is golden. I am staying silent. LisaR tells Dorit about it, and says, it sounds like a threat. Dorit says she told Kathy, the worst thing she can do is not face everyone, and run; it makes it worse. On top of it, Kathy went on Instagram Live.  We see a clip of Kathy telling some interviewer that she read she was screaming and throwing things. That’s not her. LisaR says, lies. Does Kathy know she lied? Dorit says, 1000%. She took ownership. LisaR says, Kathy claimed she was in the house alone, and we see an Insta clip of that. Dorit says, the only person who can answer for Kathy is Kathy.

LisaR and Dorit sit with the others, and Dorit fills them in on what she and LisaR were talking about. Dorit says, the last night they were in Aspen, Kathy wasn’t herself. When they went to the club, she wanted the DJ to play a song – LisaR says, Billie Jean – and he refused. In Crystal’s interview, she says, it doesn’t surprise her that these women don’t know requesting Michael Jackson is problematic now. But who is she? Just a millennial. Dorit says, the manager told Kathy to go back to L.A. In Diana’s interview, she says, Kathy was born into wealth (actually, she married into it), but she learned later. People in clubs don’t care who you are or where you come from. The way the game works is tips; the best table, drinks, the DJ. Kathy should know that if she does. Dorit says, Diana gave the guy $200 and he got them drinks. Sheree (not that one) says she bets people don’t disrespect that. When she arrived at the hat shop, Kathy was outside on the phone, and she was agitated; she was shaking. LisaR says, it started then? In her interview, she says, now she’s understanding it started earlier. Maybe her ordering Kendall’s tequila is what set her off. We flash back to that, and I wonder why LisaR didn’t notice it then, since Kathy started ranting then. She says, Kathy is so f***ing jealous of the Kardashians. She tells the others, at the house, Kathy wasn’t attacking her personally, but was going on about how she feels about certain things, people, blood. Dorit asks if she talked about anyone other than Kyle, but LisaR won’t say. In her interview, LisaR says, Kathy talked about all of the other women, lumping some of them together. She called Crystal and Sutton pieces of sh*t who should be fired. She said Dorit was a stupid, useless idiot. Sheree asks if Kathy said everyone’s name, and in LisaR’s interview, she says it was a barrage of Kathy not want to be around f***ing peons, and they need to go away. She has to do everything; it’s her show. She has big deals going on at NBC, everyone is protecting her, and she’ll ruin Kyle. LisaR says, she and Garcelle got off better than anyone. In Crystal’s interview, she says, Kathy admitted she lost her temper, and a producer asks if she admitted to a meltdown, and talking sh*t about everyone. Crystal says, no, and he asks who she believes. She says, right now? Kathy. Dorit says she thought Kathy would be here; she said she was coming. LisaR wonders why she didn’t show, and Sutton says, maybe she’s busy. Erika says, Garcelle texted; she said she had a job. We see a clip of Garcelle filming, and LisaR asks if Kathy texted, but Erika says, no. Crystal says, Kathy told her she was coming, and LisaR asks if she intended to apologize. Crystal says, for sure, and LisaR says, she sent Kathy blessings and prayers in her heart. Erika says, LisaR is so evolved, and LisaR says she tries to be, but it’s hard. She thinks Kathy needs it though. In Sutton’s interview, she says, does LisaR pray. She shrugs, and says she doesn’t know. Magic 8 Ball says, doubtful.

Kathy visits Kyle, and I say ugh out loud. Kyle mumbles that she’d rather be eating f***ing glass. Kathy is wearing a Peace T-shirt, and Kyle says she sees Kathy has her shirt on. Kathy says she came to apologize, and in Kyle’s interview, she says, it’s the first time she’s seen Kathy since Aspen. They exchanged a few texts, but haven’t had a real conversation about what happened. Kathy says she thought it was Alexia’s shirt, but it matches, so she wore it. She also wants to make peace. In her interview, Kyle says, it sounds easy on paper to sit and talk, but as their history goes, it hasn’t worked. We flash back to Mauricio saying he wants to create his own company, and Kyle saying she doesn’t want to upset the family; Kyle saying she’s not going to the wedding in London; talking to Dorit about getting flak for creating American Woman; and the Reunions where they were estranged, and then made up. Kyle says, when this has happened in the past, the effect is tremendous. Nothing gets her anxiety going  like family conflict, and keeping it to herself. Kathy says she’s here to apologize, and Kyle thanks her. Kathy says she started ranting and venting about her feelings, and she didn’t think it would get back to Kyle. Kyle wonders why she’s always in the position, and says, no one takes a joke too far more than Kathy. We flash back to Kathy hiding Kyle’s purse, and in Kyle’s interview, she says, Kathy is a practical joker at everyone’s expense. If the joke doesn’t go over well, Kathy will say she can’t believe they’re offended. Kyle says, Kathy was in a mood. She was seeing red, and screaming at her in front of everyone. It wasn’t the first time, but it was the first in front of other people. She was hurt and embarrassed. Kathy says she’s sorry, mostly for… Kyle interjects, what she said at the house? and Kathy says, yeah. Kyle asks why she said that stuff, and Kathy says she was over-tired, angry, stupid… wine, altitude… She’s so sorry. Kyle says she appreciates that, and tears up. She says, she hasn’t felt a lot of support from her sister for a long time. When she hears Kathy talk like she did, Kyle feels like Kathy hates her. Kathy says she doesn’t, and Kyle asks how she can say those things. Kathy says, they never get a chance to do anything, and Kyles says she’s been working her ass off. Kathy says she gets it, but Kyle has to make time for her family. Kyle says she does. She makes time for her husband and children, and she’s trying to balance it. If someone hurts her, she’s going to keep them at arm’s length to protect herself, blood included. Kathy says it’s hard to get Kyle on the phone, and Kyle says she feels like Kathy often calls her to rant. In her interview, Kyle says, a text always precedes the call, saying, it’s important. She feels her body go numb. She says, Kathy never asks how she’s doing. How’s the movie going? She doesn’t get those questions. In Kyle’s interview, she says, she doesn’t want to hear Kathy all pissed off, so she admits she sometimes avoids her calls. Kathy says she’s proud of Kyle. She’s a great wife and mother. Kyle tells her, it’s nice to hear her say it, and Kathy says, Kyle is talented and thoughtful. She does it all, and she’s proud of her. Their mom would be proud of her. I think that’s probably the thing Kyle has wanted to hear the most, and they hug. In her interview, Kyle says, her mom and dad were her biggest cheerleaders. When you lose that, you feel like no one is going to love you like that. No one is ever going to support or be proud of you like that. Hearing Kathy say that… Kathy is her big sister, and since she doesn’t have parents, obviously, it means a lot. But their relationship is complicated, and it contradicts what Kathy said in Aspen. So what does she believe? Kyle says, what about the other women? Has Kathy talked to everybody? Kathy says, she hasn’t spoken to Erika, and couldn’t reach LisaR. Kyle says, LisaR is coming over in a while. Kathy can stay and talk to her if she wants. She doesn’t want to see the situation get to a point where they can’t find some sort of peace. These women are trained assassins.

Assistant Josh helps Sutton arrange Popeye’s chicken on silver platters. In Sutton’s interview, she says she asked Erika to come over. One-on-one, they can talk about the things they need to say. It’s like the Hatfields and the McCoys. She’s sick of fighting, and wants to put the pistol down.  Josh says, from cardboard to silver, as it should be. Sutton also has Dom Perignon or sweet tea. Erika arrives, and says, it’s a special occasion Sutton creation, and they toast with sweet tea. In Erika’s interview, she says, she and Sutton started friendly, but then it flipped. We flash back to Sutton giving Erika a divorce kit, and Erika comforting Sutton after one of the many altercations of the season. Then we see Erika telling Sutton to shut up. Erika says, she’s tired and has certain things she needs to let go of, and Sutton says, as women they have to support one another. The only thing she asks of Erika is about the lashing out. She doesn’t want to do that to people. Erika agrees, and says she started out soft and trying to explain, but she felt like she wasn’t heard. That’s when she got angry and pushed back, and it was off to the races. Sutton says she saw it again in Aspen; Erika has a trigger word. Erika says, it starts with a V. She has a hard time with it because it implies she’s done something. Sutton suggests adding compassion in her voice. It’s the way Erika says things. Erika says she’d like some compassion too. Sutton says, she appreciates Erika’s ability to move forward from last year’s problems. They do have fun, and they like the same food. Erika says, Sutton did a beautiful job, and in Sutton’s interview, she says, there’s something about the two of them. They like each other in a dysfunctional way. Erika thanks her for her good old Southern hospitality. Sutton says, she’s reminding Erika of her roots, so play nice.

LisaR arrives at Kyle’s, and I say blech out loud. Kathy says she’s come to apologize, and in LisaR’s interview, she says, Kathy is wearing the same T-shirt that she was wearing in Aspen when she had her psychotic break. Kathy says she apologizes. She said unkind things, and feels badly about it. She unleashed and vented, without taking into consideration that LisaR’s in a sensitive spot after losing her mom. She said things she shouldn’t have said, and she’s so sorry. LisaR says she was shook. She’s never seen that before, and certainly not from Kathy. Kathy needs to take look at what triggered it, and made her go to that place. Kathy says she doesn’t have a temper, and LisaR says, what does she call it then? Kathy says, losing her temper. She was being cruel. LisaR says she feels like Kathy needs to take responsibility for some of the things she said, and Kathy tells LisaR that she’s said things too; big f***ing things. LisaR tells Kathy that she doesn’t want to say it, but Kathy needs help. Kathy thinks she was frustrated with all the heavy stuff. It was three days, jam packed, and a lot to process. LisaR asks if this is Kathy’s way of trying to shut her up, and Kathy says, LisaR can be unkind too. LisaR asks if Kathy is going to go there.

Kathy says, LisaR doesn’t want to hear about herself, but LisaR says, it’s not about her. In LisaR’s interview, she says she was in the same position eight years ago, and we flash back to Kim. She says, it’s just another sister. Kathy says she’s sensitive about some things; she has a friend who’s dying with terminal cancer. She hasn’t even told anyone. Yeah, I know people who pull sympathy rabbits out of hats when they’re cornered. LisaR says she’s sorry, and Kathy cries. She says, it’s very upsetting. She’s so sorry. She doesn’t behave this way. People who’ve known her for 30 years know she doesn’t have a problem.  LisaR says, Kathy isn’t getting away with it. She can have her tears, and do what she wants to do, but she did what she did, and Kathy won’t gaslight and manipulate her. If she wants to apologize, talk about what she really did; the names she called people. Does she remember, LisaR locked herself in the bedroom. Kathy doesn’t know why, and LisaR says, Kathy was having a psychotic break; it was out of control. In Kathy’s interview, she says she can’t imagine anyone scaring LisaR. She’s reminded of the situation with Kim when LisaR got physical. We flash back to LisaR braking a glass during the #WhatDidHarryDo dinner, and LisaR says, Kathy was f***ing angry at this beautiful sister. Kathy says, she didn’t handle herself well, and she’s not proud of it. She said things she didn’t mean; they all do it. Kyle says, Kathy is her sister, and LisaR is like a sister. The thought of them having this issue… She cries, and both Kathy and LisaR apologize. LisaR says she wants to know where the hatred comes from. Kathy needs to figure out why she has a black heart. Geez. Exaggerate much? Kathy says she’s not having any more discussion, and LisaR says she had a feeling it would go this way. Kyle says she’s begging them, and Kathy gets up, saying, she’s so done. In Kyle’s interview, she says she can see Kathy is trying to keep her cool. She knows she has to apologize, but LisaR is pushing it. Kyle sees Kathy out, and says, f*** my life.

LisaR says, it was good, then it kind of wasn’t, and Kyle says she wants a life that’s less complicated. LisaR says, the situation needs some work. They can’t have this moment, and then say everything is good when it’s not good at the core. She thinks Kathy has to do some serious soul searching or talking to someone. She’s not sure this can get better if she doesn’t.

Finale, LisaR talks to the others about Kathy’s apology; Kyle says she has to move on; Kyle wonders why every detail is being leaked to the press (it must be LVP – ha-ha); and Kyle leaves a dinner.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Wiley is at the table in the nook, drawing, and Willow tells him, on the paper not the table this time. Deal? They fist bump and Wiley says, deal. She says she can’t wait to see his masterpiece. Michael comes in to get coffee, and she asks if there’s any word from Sonny or Carly. He says he spoke with his mom briefly, and Willow asks how she is. He says, not good. He’s worried about her, but she wanted space, so he’s giving it to her. She says, and his dad? He says, according to Tony, he’s fine. He can’t believe the judge said what Nina did isn’t a crime. She says she’s sorry. She wishes more than anything that she hadn’t gone to the chapel that day and overheard Sonny and Nina, but she did. Then she made the choice to keep it from all of them. He says, no one blames her for that; he doesn’t blame her for that. That’s why he did what he did with DA Sheridan. They were both protecting their family.

Brook asks Tracy to keep her voice down. She knows everyone in this house has supersonic hearing. Tracy says she’s waiting for an answer. Brook is not the mother of that baby. How does she know that? Because Brook was never pregnant. How does she know that? Because Brook called her asking for help finding a black market baby. Brook says, and Tracy hung up on her, so she had to take matters into her own hands. Tracy says she can see that. How did Brook get the baby? And please do no tell her, the old-fashioned way.

At Charlie’s, Anna asks Felicia how she think Maxie is going to react to this plan of theirs. Felicia says she’s not sure. She knows Maxie loves Louise, and wants nothing more than to have her daughter home… Anna says, but? and Felicia says, the way Maxie is dealing with it worries her. Anna says she knows. Like, the other day when she was so positive Louise was going to be back with her by next Christmas. She wants that too, obviously, and wants Maxie to have that kind of hope, but it’s really strange. Whenever she tries to bring up the subject of searching for her baby, Maxie seems kind of reluctant. Felicia says she thinks she knows why.

Maxie comes out of the hospital elevator outside Peter’s room, and Britt asks what she’s doing here. Maxie asks if she’s talked to Peter, but Britt says, not yet. Maxie says she’d like to know when he’s being shipped off to Pentenville, and Austin says, not before his condition stabilizes. Maxie says, and that will be… Britt says, he’s being guarded 24/7; Maxie doesn’t have to worry. Maxie says, she doesn’t have to worry? Peter has escaped from this hospital once already. She can’t deal with that again.

Victor sips coffee at the MetroCourt, when Valentin comes in. Victor says it’s good to see him, and Valentin tells him that he’d say the same, but he’s not going to lie. Victor says he did as Valentin requested, and gave him space to enjoy the holidays with his daughter, and Valentin asks if he’s back to his campaign as father of the year. Victor asks if Valentin and Charlotte had a nice Christmas, but Valentin doesn’t answer. Victor says, all right. How is Valentin holding up? Valentin says, tip top, patting his side. Almost back to 100%. Victor says he wasn’t talking about Valentin’s gunshot wound. He heard Valentin lost a child.

Britt tells Maxie, she knows it’s hard to believe after everything she’s been through, but Peter isn’t going anywhere. Martin comes along, and says, perhaps they could direct him to Peter’s room. Austin says, his room is right there, but it’s approved visitors only. Maxie asks why he wants to know, and Martin thanks Austin. He goes over to the guard, produces his card, and says, Martin Grey, Attorney at Law. Britt wonders what the hell is going on.

Martin goes into Peter’s room, and Peter says, he made it, and thanks him for coming. Martin asks what he can do for Peter, and Peter says he’d like to hire Martin to be his attorney. Martin says, to do what exactly, and Peter says, to prove he did not kill Franco Baldwin.

Alexis tells Shawn, she appreciates him trying to help, but he says, it’s not charity. Running The Invader is going to take a lot of work. She says she’s sure it is, especially since he doesn’t know what he’s doing. He says, so she’s afraid of trying something new? and she says she’s not afraid. He says, so she’s good? and she says, pushy, pushy. There’s a knock at the door, Alexis opens it, and tells Sam to come in. Sam asks if everything is okay, and says hi to Shawn. Alexis says, Shawn’s non-profit just bought The Invader. Shawn says he knows it used to be no better than a tabloid, but he’s changing the mission completely. Sam says, good for him, and Alexis says he wants her to be his second in command. Sam says, wow, and Alexis says, crazy, huh? Sam says, not necessarily, and Alexis says, what? Sam says, hear her out. She always thought that Shawn was a discerning kind of guy. Shawn thanks her, and Sam says, he must have his reasons for wanting Alexis to be part of the paper. What are they?

Michael says he knows he should have brought Willow into the loop about having Nina arrested, but she kind of did the same thing by not telling him about dad and Nina’s relationship. (I say, nice try, Michael.) What he’s saying is, moving forward, maybe they could give each other a little grace, because as parents, they’ll have to make executive decisions in the moment. Willow says, they’re not the same thing. The secret she kept from him had nothing to do with Wiley or parenting. It was about two grown adults who fell in love. He says, one of whom was his father, and both of whom are Wiley’s grandparents. She says, still… and he says he thought they were on the same page. What is he missing?

Maxie says, Martin isn’t going to take Peter’s case, and Britt asks how she knows. Maxie says, because he wouldn’t stoop that low.

Martin says he’s extremely reluctant to take Peter’s case. The list of allegations against him is epic, and it wouldn’t do Martin’s record any good defending him if he gets locked up. The only way he would consider accepting someone like Peter as a client is if the compensation were generous and prompt. Peter says, in other words, Martin can be bought, and Martin says, no, but his services can be acquired on a limited basis for a $50,000 retainer. Peter says, done, and Martin says, however, to be perfectly clear, he’s only willing to defend Peter on the charges of murdering Franco Baldwin. As for the rest of it, the catalog of heinous allegations against Peter is some other lawyer’s problem. Peter says, understood. So tell him, what is he up against? Martin says he doesn’t know yet, and sits down. He says, he’d have to look at the official files, and see what the PCPD has held back from public record. However, based on what he’s read, he thinks he can poke a hole or two in the prosecution’s case. Peter says, excellent, and Martin says, still, even if Peter is exonerated – and that’s one big if – there is an avalanche of charges waiting for him in other jurisdictions. Peter says, one battle at a time.

Felicia tells Anna, Maxie is in denial about Louise’s disappearance. She’s convinced herself that wherever her baby is, she’s safe and well cared for. Anna says, you kind of have to do that, don’t you? How else would you carry on? Felicia says, absolutely. She thinks that’s how Maxie finds the strength to be a mother to Georgie and James right now. Anna says she remembers doing that. She convinced herself that Robin was happy with Philomena when she couldn’t be with her. Felicia says she felt the same way when Mac was raising the girls, and Anna says, they were right. Their children were happy and safe, and they knew where they were. Maxie doesn’t have that. Felicia wonders how much longer Maxie can go on, not knowing if her daughter is alive, but Anna says, don’t say that. She doesn’t know.

Martin comes out, and Maxie says, he’s not going to take that monster’s case, is he? He says he’d appreciate if she referred to his client by his name, and Maxie says, no. He says, yes. He’s been retained to represent Peter in his upcoming murder trial. She says, what about New Year’s? She helped him and Lucy sneak out. He says he knows, and sincerely thanks her for the assistance, but business is business. New Year’s Eve was purely pleasure. He gets in the elevator, and the doors close.

Valentin tells Victor, Bailey isn’t lost; she’s perfectly fine. Victor says, but she’s lost to Valentin; no longer his little girl. Valentin says, that’s right, she’s not, and Victor says he’s very sorry about that. For both of them. He’d have loved another granddaughter. Valentin tells him not to get any ideas, because he’s never going to see the one he already has. Victor says, never say never, and Valentin says, if Victor thinks he’s ever going to let him anywhere near Charlotte, he’s crazy. Victor says he’s sorry. He didn’t mean to push. Valentin says, he’s all about restraint, isn’t he? and Victor admits he’s more a man of action. He finds it intolerable what Brook did to Valentin. He assumes Valentin is going to retaliate, and Valentin says he can handle Brook. Victor says he doesn’t have to do it alone. Why don’t the two of them show her that no one crosses a Cassadine?

Brook tells Tracy that she found a mother who couldn’t raise her baby, and she helped. Tracy says, that’s really generous of her, and Brook says she did it for the family. She wanted to gain control back of ELQ from Valentin. Tracy asks if that worked, and Brook says, not for long. Valentin found out she was lying, and took back his shares. Tracy says, and now Brook is trying to pass off Detective Chase as the father, and Brook says, she couldn’t admit she faked the pregnancy. Tracy asks, why not? and Brook says, how would she explain the baby? Tracy doesn’t understand. Brook had already been found out. Why not tell the truth? She could understand if the adoption was illegal, but if the mother was on board… Oh no. Don’t tell her Brook was stupid enough to steal a baby. The doorbell rings, and Brook says she’ll get it.

Maxie joins Felicia and Anna, and says, sorry she’s late. Martin Grey has taken Peter’s case. Anna says, he didn’t, and Maxie says she ran into him at the hospital. Felicia asks what she was doing there, but Maxie says she didn’t see Peter. Don’t worry. She just wanted to make sure he was still there. So when’s Peter getting shipped off to prison to await trial? Anna says she doesn’t know. As far as she’s aware, he’s kind of incapable of being moved right now, physically and medically. Maxie says, he’s kind of famous for breaking barriers, and Felicia says, not anymore. Peter’s going away for the rest of his life. But enough about him. Maxie says, this was a great idea, the three of them getting together; relaxing, laughing, destressing. Anna says, actually, they have something important they’d like to discuss with her, and Felicia says, it’s a difficult subject, but they’d like to talk about the search for Louise. Anna says, it’s not been easy, there aren’t many leads, but everyone is very determined to bring Maxie’s baby home. Robert comes in, and Felicia says, on that note… He approaches the table, and Anna asks if he’s okay. He says he’s got a bit of bad news. Nothing to do with Robin. There’s been a rather tragic cable car accident in Austria. Felicia says she heard about that on the news, and he says, according to Tracy, Luke was on that cable car. Luke’s gone.

Harmony walks into the nook, and says, knock, knock. Happy New Year. Willow says, mom, and Harmony says, Brook pointed her in this direction. She got the feeling Brook was in the middle of something. Michael says, she usually is, and Harmony thanks them for letting her bring Wiley his gift. Willow says she’s sorry it took this long to find a good time, but Harmony says she’s just happy for the invite. Willow brings Wiley over, and asks if he remembers his Grandma Harmony. Wow. Three grandmothers. How lucky is he? Harmony squats down to Wiley’s level, and says she’s sorry she didn’t get to see him last week, but she’s been thinking about him the whole time. She puts a large gift in his hands, and says, merry Christmas. Willow asks what he thinks it is, and they bring it over to the table.

Britt walks quickly through the hospital, slows down, then walks again. Austin comes up behind her, and asks, whatcha doin’? She asks if anyone ever told him not to sneak up on anyone, but he says he’s not sneaking, just walking. She says she’s going in there, indicating Peter’s room, and he asks if she thinks that’s a good idea. She says she thinks she didn’t ask for his opinion, and he gets in front of her, and says, hold on. They both know she’s not Peter’s doctor, is she? She says, no, but she is Co-Chief of Staff, which gives her free reign in this hospital. He says, fair enough, but help him understand something. Why does she want to go in there? When was the last time she saw Peter? She says, Cassadine Island, where he killed Jason, and almost killed her and her mom. He says, exactly, and she says, which is exactly why she needs to see him. She starts to walk, and he says, it’s not a good look, the Co-Chief of Staff is arrested for murdering one of the patients. She says, believe her, if she wanted to hurt Peter she wouldn’t get caught, and he says he does believe her, but he didn’t hear the part where she says she’s not going to hurt Peter. She says, very observant, doctor, and tells the guard that she needs to monitor the patient. She goes in, and Austin watches from outside. Britt closes the door, and Peter says, hey there, sis. He raises his hands, showing her he’s chained to the bed, and asks, what’s up?

Brook tells Tracy, let’s keep our voices down. Better yet, let’s table this whole discussion permanently. Tracy says, so Brook did steal her, and Brook says she didn’t steal her. Her hand to God, Bailey is absolutely positively not stolen. Tracy says, good. Good news finally. Brook says, now that’s settled, and the rest is really none of Tracy’s business. Tracy says, except that’s not true. Brook is trying to pass that child off as a Quartermaine, which makes it all her business. Back to Chase. Why couldn’t Brook just say she had a one-night stand? Why did she have to involve a police detective? Brook says she didn’t involve Chase. He decided all on his own to help her out. Tracy says, Brook means lie for her, and Brook says, whatever. Tracy says, so Brook and Mr. Law and Order? but Brook says, it’s not like that. She and Chase are just friends. Tracy wonders why she finds that so hard to believe.

Wiley pulls out a train made of colorful blocks, and says, cool. Willow asks what he says, and he says, thank you, looking in the wrong direction. Harmony says, he’s welcome, and gathers up the wrapping. Michael says, that train set is pretty legit, and Willow says, it must have been expensive. Harmony tells her, don’t worry about it. She’s been saving up so she can spoil him. Wiley asks if he can show Leo, and Michael says he can, but he should say goodbye to Harmony first, because Toby’s mom will be picking him up soon for his playdate. Wiley brings Harmony a drawing, and she says, he’s such an amazing artist. She knows exactly where she’s going to hang it. (On the refrigerator.) She hugs Wiley, and he scampers off with his train. Harmony thanks Willow for calling. When she didn’t hear from Willow, she thought Willow changed her mind. Willow says, sorry about that. There’s been a lot going on. Harmony says, she heard the charges were dropped against Nina after the preliminary hearing. How do she and Michael feel about that? Willow says, Michael is understandably angry that Nina got off Scot free. That wasn’t the worst part. Some things came out during the hearing that Michael thought Nina purposely withheld to blindside the family. Harmony asks what Willow thinks about it.

Felicia says, it seems impossible, a world without Luke in it, and Robert says he knows. Anna asks if they suspect any tampering, but Robert shakes his head, and says, first thing he checked. It would appear his luck just flat ran out. Maxie says she’s so sorry. She knows how important Luke was to them. Robert says, his best friend. Brother, actually. No amount of time or distance could change that. Felicia asks if Bobbie and Laura know, and Robert says, yes. He called to check on them afterward. Olivia had broken the news. They’re both pretty devastated. Bobbie’s taking it particularly badly. Felicia says, of course (🍷) she is, and Anna asks if Bobbie wants to see anyone. Robert says, no. She asked to be left alone until she can process all of this. Felicia feels it’s the last thing Bobbie needs, but she’ll respect Bobbie’s wishes for now. Anna asks, what about Tracy? but Robert says he hasn’t spoken to her yet. Maxie gets up, and says she thinks she’ll stop by and offer her condolences, and Felicia says she’d like to drive her. Maxie says, yeah, and Felicia gets up. Felicia says she loves them, and cries a little, and Anna hugs her. Maxie and Felicia leave, and with tears in her eyes Anna says, first Holly, now Luke. She’s glad Robert’s here. She takes his hands, and he says, right back at her. He looks stunned.

Shawn tells Alexis and Sam, he doesn’t need another journalist. What he needs is someone with a conscience who can lead and guide the paper. Someone to fight for what’s right. Sam says, that sounds like her mom, and Alexis asks why he didn’t just say that in the first place, instead of calling her a chicken. He says, he didn’t call her a chicken, but she says, he called her a chicken. Sam laughs, and Shawn says, the bottom line is, he needs a warrior, and Alexis is the smartest warrior he knows. So what does she say?

Peter says, he was wondering when Britt would drop by. He was hoping his sister of all people… She says, don’t call her that. They’re not family; they never will be. He says she can’t deny blood, and she says, watch me. Jason is dead because of him. He says, the tunnel collapsed. It’s not exactly in his control. She asks, what about the shootout? Was that in his control? Because that’s what caused the cave-in, dumb ass. Not to mention, if it weren’t for him, they never would have been on that island. He says he understands… and she says, understand this. She’s so glad she didn’t grow up with him. She’s so glad she never knew they were related, because all he does is bring pain and suffering to everyone, most of all Maxie, whose life he essentially ruined. He says, that’s not true, and she says, thanks to him, Maxie’s daughter is God knows where, possibly crying, injured, or scared. Or alone, if she’s even still alive. He tells her, don’t say that, and she says, aww. I’m sorry. Did that hurt? Was it hard to hear? Good. She didn’t know it was possible to actually despise a person. It is. She despises him. He says, point taken. He’ll make sure to let the authorities know. They’re still searching for the person who poisoned him. She laughs, and says, please, moving closer to him. If she’d poisoned him, she’d have gotten the dosage right, and they woudn’t be having this conversation. Besides, she doesn’t want him dead. She wants him rotting in some supermax prison for the rest of his life, knowing he’ll never lay eyes on his daughter. She wants him alone, until he joins their father in hell.

Willow and Harmony have coffee, and Willow says, Nina’s reaction after everything came out, she seemed genuinely upset. Maybe she’s just being naïve. Harmony asks if that’s what Michael said, and Willow says, no. They definitely have different opinions when it comes to Nina, and her role, if any, in Wiley’s life. Harmony tells her to trust her instincts. If she really feels that Nina means no harm, isn’t it better for Wiley to have a grandmother who loves him, than for her to disappear? Michael comes in, and Willow asks if Wiley’s off. He says, Wiley’s off, and insisted on bringing his train set on the playdate. Harmony says she’s glad he likes it, and Michael asks what they were talking about. Willow says, Nina, and Harmony says, Willow didn’t give her any details, but she urges Michael to trust her daughter’s instincts. He says he doesn’t mean to be disrespectful, but how is that any of her business?

Valentin says, so Victor wants to team up like some dynamic father son duo, and Victor says, stronger together, as they say. Martin runs in, and Valentin asks Victor to excuse him; he has a meeting with his attorney. Victor says, by all means. Just think about his offer. Valentin and Martin go to a table. Martin says, before they discuss ELQ, there’s something Valentin should know, and he thinks Valentin should hear it from him. Valentin says, that sounds ominous, and Martin says, he’s agreed to represent Peter August.

Britt comes out of Peter’s room, and sees Austin leaning against the wall. He says, hey, and she says, you again? He says he didn’t hear any bells or whistles, so he’s going to assume Peter is still breathing. She says she has to get back, and he asks her to come sit with him for one tiny little second. They sit on a bench, and he asks if she feels better. She says, because she’s sitting? and he says, no, because she confronted Peter. She says she does. She could tell her words really hurt him, and it felt good to see him in pain. He says he totally gets it, and she says, he doesn’t think she’s a horrible person? He says, not at all. Not even a little bit.

Shawn says he and Alexis make a great team; she knows they do. The fact that he’s sitting there a free man says it all. Just think about it before she says no. She says she will, and he gets his coat. He asks Sam to work on Alexis for him, and Alexis says she heard that. He leaves, and Alexis says she’s going to take a moment and think about it, so don’t try to talk her into anything. Sam says, okay, but Alexis has been very clear that she doesn’t think she’s qualified for the job. Alexis says she’s not, and Sam says, okay, but does she want the job?

Felicia and Maxie come into the Quartermaine living room, and Felicia says, they heard about Luke. Maxie says, they’re so sorry, and Tracy thanks them. She knows it’s a loss for them as well. Felicia says, they have a whole lot of memories, but nothing compared to what Tracy and Luke shared. Bailey cries, and Maxie goes over to her, Tracy definitely noticing. Felicia asks if Tracy was in Austria when it happened, and Tracy says she wasn’t. She’s sure they can imagine how much she regrets that. Brook goes over the bassinette, and says, someone needs to be changed, taking Bailey out. Maxie says she’s going with Brook, so her mom and Tracy can talk. Brook says, good idea, and they go into the foyer. Brook says Bailey smells like roses, and Maxie asks, what are they doing out there then? Brook says she has to tell Maxie something she’s not going to like. Her grandmother knows Bailey isn’t hers.

Tracy asks Felicia if something is wrong, and Felicia says she’s just worried that being around Bailey might be painful for Maxie. Tracy asks, why? and Felicia says, Maxie’s daughter is still missing. Tracy says she’s so sorry. She heard about that. It must be hard on Felicia and Mac as well. Felicia says, it’s terrible. She and Mac never got to meet their granddaughter. She was taken just after Maxie gave birth. Tracy asks if there are any leads on her whereabouts, but Felicia says, no. She has to believe in her heart that Louise is safe, but after seven months… She starts to cry, and Tracy says, seven months? So Brook and Maxie’s babies are the same age? Felicia says, yeah, and Tracy says, that must make it particularly hard. She looks at the bassinette.

Austin brings Britt coffee, and she says, it better not be decaf. He says he’s not a monster, and asks if she doesn’t go home soon, but she says she’s in no rush. She has nothing waiting for her at the MetroCourt. He says, she lives in a hotel? and she says she never has to make a bed. He says, it’s true, and she says, to be honest, she does better at work. Her social life is lacking. He says he’s been in Port Charles for like, six months, and barely knows anyone outside of GH. She laughs, and he says, it’s funny? She says, no, but if he’s really lonely, she knows a matchmaker. He says, she does not, but she says she does. Her mother signed her up for a matchmaking service, as a Christmas present no less. He says, wow, that’s… wow. Britt says, she’s really obsessed with the get out there and meet someone nonsense. He says he thinks that’s exactly what Britt should do.

Alexis tells Sam, everything Shawn said about the Invader job appeals to her, and Sam says, except? Alexis says, except she doesn’t know what she’s doing, and Sam says, no one knows what they’re doing on a new job. She’ll learn. Alexis tells her not to finagle it, and Sam says she’s not. When you boil it down, aren’t opening and closing statements just appeals for justice? Alexis says, yes, but… and Sam says, to get the jury to do the right thing. Alexis says, that’s in a courtroom, and Sam says, so? Alexis is an amazing public speaker. All she has to do is, put it down on paper. Alexis asks if Sam really thinks she could do this, and Sam says she believes in Alexis. Alexis needs to believe in herself too.

Maxie says, Tracy knows that Bailey is Louise? but Brook says, no. She just knows Bailey isn’t Brook’s. Maxie asks, how? and Brook says she’s so sorry. Before they came up with a plan, she told Tracy that she was faking a pregnancy. Maxie says, Brook didn’t think to tell her this until now? and Brook says, she’s sorry. Her grandmother, all the way in Amsterdam, knew she was faking a pregnancy. No, she didn’t. Maxie says, this is bad, but Brook says, don’t panic. Maxie says, it’s too late for that. What if Tracy figures this out? Brook says, she won’t. Why would she? No one else has. Maxie says, because no one is as sneaky as Tracy, or as suspicious.

Anna tells Robert, she remembers the first time she met Luke. He laughs, and says, it was unforgettable. He certainly knew how to make a dramatic entrance. She says, he knew how to make a splash, and Robert says, no one ever did it better. He certainly lived life to the fullest. She says, he was a very loyal friend. He really helped her when they thought Robin was dead that time. Remember? He says, he wouldn’t have made it through that, literally, and she says, they don’t get to say goodbye. It doesn’t really surprise her, because Luke was always on the move. He says, no time or patience for sentimentality, and she says, on the surface perhaps. She’s really going to miss him. Robert says, so is he.

Valentin says, that’s why Martin was late? For taking on a new client who absolutely deserves to be behind bars? Martin says, he has the right to a defense just like everyone else, but Valentin says, Martin doesn’t have to be the one who provides it. How much is Peter paying him? Martin says, please, he has bills to pay. Mother’s care is extremely expensive. It’s not like Cyrus is going to cover it anymore. He couldn’t work when he was in witness protection, and on top of everything else, he has to pay alimony three times over. Valentin says he has to go, and Martin says, then he’s to be punished. Valentin says, Martin was late, and he has somewhere else he has to be. Martin asks, what about their meeting? and Valentin says he guesses they’ll have to reschedule. Valentin gets into the elevator, and as the doors are about to close, Victor gets in, saying, room for one more?

The doors close, and Victor asks if Valentin has given any more thought to him helping put Brook in her place. Valentin asks, why he should work with Victor? and Victor says, they have a common enemy. Valentin says, Brook’s never done anything to Victor, but Victor says, she disrespected the Cassadine name. That effects all of them, and there have to be consequences. And he wants a relationship with his son. So what does Valentin say? They work together to right this terrible wrong? He knows family is important to Valentin, as it is to him, so let’s start acting like one. The fact is, Brook used Valentin. She lied to him, and Victor can’t believe it doesn’t make him furious. Valentin says, of course (🍷) it makes him furious, and Victor says, then accept his help. The doors open, and Victor says Valentin knows where to find him. Valentin says, wait. What does he have in mind?

Tracy thanks Felicia and Maxie for coming; it means a lot. Maxie says, they were so sorry about Luke, and Felicia goes over to the bassinette. She says, and you are getting so big and so beautiful. Brook must be over the moon. Brook says she really is.

Shawn comes into Charlie’s on the phone, and says, tell me you have good news for me. Alexis says she thinks so, and he says, she’ll take the job at The Invader? She says, they’re going to turn this paper into a mission for justice. She is in. He says, hot damn. When can she start?

Harmony tells Michael that she’s sorry; she overstepped. She was just trying to express that she trusts her daughter’s judgement. He says, so does he, which is why she’s standing in this house, despite what happened to his sister. She says she hopes he knows she’s changed a lot since then, and all she wants is a relationship with her family. He says, for her sake, he hopes that’s true.

Britt says, Austin thinks she needs a matchmaker? but he says, no. She says, but…? and he says, if she’s looking for a wingman, he’s trying to figure out his personal life in Port Charles too, so he’s volunteering. If they’re in this together, how bad can it be?

Brook asks Bailey if she’s still hungry, and says she’ll make her a bottle. She asks if Tracy can watch her for a sec, and Tracy says, of course (🍷). Brook asks if she’s sure, and Tracy says, please. She raised Brook’s father and her uncle. She can be alone with an infant for five minutes. Just to be clear, if Bailey needs anything, she’s calling Brook. Brook says, got it, and leaves. Tracy tells Bailey that she’s had an interesting life so far, hasn’t she? Can Tracy call her Louise?

Tomorrow, Alexis asks where Ned heard this, Sasha thinks the best thing for her is to get back to work, and Dante asks if Sonny is telling him it’s still real.

The Real Housewives of Orange County

We started where we left off, at Emily’s party for Shawn, with Heather telling Shannon that she’d lose more than friendship if Shannon ever came after her family again. It was going to cost a lot. It wasn’t a threat, but a promise. She’d defend her family until the end. She’d thought she and Shannon were good, and it was like a big f*** you. Shannon said she was horrified by the whole thing, and Heather said she didn’t know if she could trust Shannon 100%, but she was willing to forgive Shannon. Shannon said she had a lapse in judgment and apologized, but in Heather’s interview, she said, Shannon wasn’t crying because she felt bad or had remorse, but because she got caught. Heather told Shannon again, don’t f*** with my family, and Shannon said she wasn’t going to. Then they pinky swore. I’m not making that up. We flashed back to Heather kicking Shannon out of her house, and in Shannon’s interview, she said, they’d worked through a rough start. Only time would tell. Heather said she needed Shannon to apologize to her husband, and went off to find Terry. In her interview, Shannon said she felt like Heather was a grade school teacher grading her, and she’s 57. Shannon told Terry that what she did was wrong, and she wasn’t that type of person. Terry said he didn’t get why she even brought it up, since it was so long ago, but he appreciated the apology. He thought they should just move on and forget it.

Noella, Emily and Gina declared themselves Charlie’s Angels, and the buffet happened. It looked pretty extensive and impressive. Shannon’s boyfriend John asked if Heather and Terry were gracious, and she said Terry was. She told him about what Heather said, and he said it was not okay. In their dual interview, John said his heart broke for Shannon because what Heather said was underserved. Shannon said she’d never had someone in her life that she knew had her back. Heather told Noella that if she needed them, just call. In Jen’s interview, she said Jen had been acting snotty and rude to her all night for no apparent reason, and she wanted to clear the air. She told Noella that she felt there was tension between them. She knew Noella was going through a lot of stuff, but if she’d done anything to upset Noella, she’d like to make it right. In Noella’s interview, she said, the few times she and Jen had met, it was superficial, and Jen had been quick to do a selfie. Noella said she wasn’t necessarily upset, but found it disturbing that Jen had posted a picture of herself – in bad light – and tagged her. She works with MedSpa and had to report it to Instagram to have it removed. Jen said she didn’t remember tagging Noella, and Noella said, it wasn’t even a cute photo. In Jen’s interview, she said she felt like she was dealing with a child having a temper tantrum. Noella said she felt thirsty energy from Jen, and she should go be relevant somewhere else. In her interview, Jen said she’d be happy to be relevant somewhere else. Yeah, Noella is starting to seem kind of weird.

Jen told Heather about the exchange, and Noella told John and Shannon about it. Heather told Jen that Noella had said she was a fake bitch, but she was choosing to let it go. Sometimes people in a bad place lashed out. Jen said she didn’t think being rude was ever the answer. Noella stomped over to Jen, and Jen said she hadn’t liked Noella’s condescending talk, and Noella whined that she’d had the worst week. Jen said she’d reached out to Noella, and gotten treated badly. Heather said they couldn’t do this at two parties, and led Noella away. Seated at the table chowing down, Gina said she didn’t know what was happening, and she was happy about that. Shannon and John cruised the buffet, and Shannon decided to stick to what she knew. I was kind of surprised she wasn’t very adventurous when it came to food. Even more surprising was how Shannon picked up something with her hand – I’m not sure what; it might have been half of an onion – and then put it back. The one who’s paranoid about her health apparently doesn’t care about anyone else’s. Gina introduced Travis to Heather, and Shannon told Noella that Heather was ignoring her. Noella said Shannon had done good with her apology tour. Heather said she and Terry had extra tickets for the track, and asked Gina and Travis to come with them. In Shannon’s interview, she said, you don’t invite people to an event when there are people around who aren’t invited. She’d been officially blackballed from Heather’s invite list.

Emily asked for everyone’s attention, and said she was excited to celebrate Shane taking the bar. He did it with a wife and five children, and never gave up. She was so proud of him, and felt she’d won the lottery when they married. Shane said they didn’t agree on a lot of things, but… Everyone toasted to Shane, and the belly dancers did their thing. Everyone put on jingle belts, and danced.

Shannon went out to lunch her dad Gene, the girls, and Stella’s boyfriend, who was a budding podiatrist, so Shannon tried to hit him up for foot advice. In Shannon’s interview, she said her dad was calling himself Gene the Machine, which was at least better than what Kelly called him. We flashed back to Kelly dubbing Gene Big D*ck Daddy, and Shannon said her father thought he was a lady’s man. She hadn’t seen him in action, but would be horrified. Gene talked about living in Bel Air, and Dean Martin sitting next to him. Shannon said the kids didn’t know who that was, or Frank Sinatra. In an interview with two interchangeable daughters, they looked up Rat Pack, and thought it was a musical group. Shannon talked about the girls going to college, and said, she had two years left, and then the girls were all gone. Gene thought maybe she’d like to spend more time with her father, and in Shannon’s interview, she said she hadn’t seen a lot of him when she was a child.

In Heather’s interview, she talked about her friendship with Gina, and said sometimes you just clicked when you met people. She didn’t know if it was a New York thing, or Jews and Italians, but she and Gina clicked. Heather went over the kids’ schedules with them, and said she was proud of their family dynamic. It was loving, nurturing, and accepting of everything.

Noella took Shannon to her energy healer Tracy. In her interview, Noella explained that Tracy put her hands on your body to give it a fine tuning. It was a big sign of their friendship for her to share Tracy with Shannon. Shannon commiserated with Noella about Jen, and told her about what Heather had said. In Noella’s interview, she said, Heather was manipulative and controlling, and it was not cool. In Shannon’s interview, she said the fear that kept her up at night was not being able to provide for her kids. She felt she’d failed them in many areas, and wasn’t letting them down again. Tracy had Shannon take a deep breath, and Shannon said it was twice as big as the breaths she’d been taking. Noella said Tracy was her miracle woman, but I think Shannon just relaxed for a hot minute.

Nicole brought a Louis Vuitton suitcase filled with cheese to Jen’s house, and made a charcuterie board. Emily and Gina joined them, and in Jen’s interview, she said she hung out with her employees during the day. It wasn’t easy to make new friends, and her employees were nice to her because she was the boss, but she didn’t think they cared as much about her as she did about them. Emily said she was confused about Noella, and Jen said, when she and Noella first met, Noella kept changing her story about her marriage. She didn’t think Noella and James were really married. In Emily’s interview, she said, it was salacious to say Noella wasn’t really married. She thought Jen just didn’t like Noella. Jen said she thought Noella needed professional help, and Emily agreed she needed direction for her anger.

Shannon video chatted with mom Pat, who’d been living in Nashville for ten years. Shannon was planning a visit with the girls, and had only visited there once since her mom moved there. In Shannon’s interview, she said now she understood how her mom was preoccupied with an unhappy marriage. We saw a clip of Pat telling Shannon to concentrate on her own life, and what she wanted to do. Shannon said her mother was happier now, and her own life was busy and full, but she needed to make time for the mom she was lucky to still have.

At the Del Mar Racetrack, a lot of people were dressed up, and Gina bought a hat before she went inside; not like a ballcap that said Del Mar on it, but a nice sunhat. She and Travis joined Heather and Terry in the winner’s circle. In Gina’s interview, she said everything Heather touched turned to diamonds, but she had champagne taste on a beer budget. She wondered if Heather would adopt her. I’ve always hoped LVP might adopt an older child. I swear, she’ll never even know I was there. They had lunch at a fancy table, and in her interview, Gina said she’d been to the track before, but was confident being with Heather would be a different experience. I went to the track once; the Belmont Stakes. I placed a small bet, but the only thing I won was a drunk trying to pick me up outside the ladies room. I would have appreciated a different experience. Travis and Terry made some bets, and they toasted to new friends. Gina told Heather that Noella had warned her to be careful of Heather. Although she hadn’t given a reason, Noella felt that Gina needed to be on the defensive. Heather said she wasn’t negating what Noella was going through, but her remarks were uncalled for. In Heather’s interview, she asked if she’d missed something. Had she run over Noella’s cat? She told Gina that she’d invited Noella to her party because she’d been nice to Max, and Gina said she didn’t want to be collateral damage from anyone’s problems. She thought Noella was a bomb that was going to go off at some point. The William Tell Overture played as the horses ran.

Emily paid a visit to Noelle, who said she’d put out a sadcuterie. Her heart hadn’t been in it, but as soon as the champagne hit her mouth, the better her life would be. She told Emily that she didn’t want the divorce. She still loved James, but felt she’d be a fool to let him back into her life. A man had come to the house with beautiful flowers, and when she’d asked where the note was, he asked if she was Noella Whatever-her-last-name-is. When she said, yes, he said she’d been served. I have to say, that is a pretty creepy thing to do, and Emily said it was next level. In Noella’s interview, she said, the first time, her mother had answered the door. Because she hadn’t technically received the papers, he’d sent flowers to make sure she’d come to the door. Emily asked if she had a good lawyer, but Noella said the goal was to be as non-litigious as possible. Emily told Noella that Jen had questioned her marriage being real, and said she’d had a fake wedding. In Emily’s interview, she said she thought Jen was presenting Noella as someone she wasn’t, which made her question Jen. Noella said she didn’t think Jen was authentic, and Emily said she was clinical. In Noella’s interview, she said, that’s not how divorce works. You have to be legally married to get a divorce. She was going to be leaning on Gina. Emily, and Shannon. Emily suggested they throw the flowers out, and shoved them in a dumpster outside. She made Noella throw the vase in as hard as she could, smashing it, and said, bye, James.

Next time, Emily brings a sandwich into a sauna, Max promotes her book, and Heather confronts Noella.

He left the clinic against medical advice. How’s he doing? Is he feeling any aftereffects from that smoke? He says she doesn’t get to do that, and she says, do what? He says, act like she gives a damn. This is the gravesite where his family grieved because of her. Don’t think for a second that he’ll ever forget that.

Maxie tells Britt and Scotty, it turns out Peter was tracking her when she went to Texas, and followed her when she went to visit Nina in Nixon Falls. When Maxie left, he pressured Nina to help him find Louise. When she refused, he tried to kill her. Britt asks if Nina’s okay, and Maxie says, no thanks to Peter. He tied up Nina and her friend, and set the building on fire. Scotty says, for cryin’ out loud, what does this have to do with Liesl? and Maxie says, Peter told Nina, Liesl had been handled. He asks what they means; he killed her? Britt says, maybe that’s what he wants everybody to think. Handled could mean anything. Typical Peter doublespeak. Besides, he’s on the run, looking for Louise. Why take the time to get to her mother? Maxie says she was just about to get to that part.

Victor walks into Obrecht’s room, and she says, it’s been days. She’s going stir crazy in this room. His staff barely looks her in the eye, just nodding and smiling. He says he warned them not to fraternize. He can’t have her charming his people into doing her bidding, the way she did that poor fool Kirk in Geneva. She says she didn’t charm Dr. Kirk; she survived him. Where has he been? He says he wanted to give her time to adjust to her new reality, and she says, all he’s done is give Scotty and Britt time to find her. He says, why would they be looking for a dead woman?

Nikolas and Spencer play chess, and Nikolas says he’s glad Esme is making the room her own. He wants her to feel comfortable there. Spencer says, Esme is comfortable wherever she goes, and Nikolas says, that’s an admirable trait. He’s glad to get to know more about the girl who’s captured his son’s heart. Spencer says, Esme is the coolest. She’s beautiful and smart, she tells it like it is. He never connected with anyone the way he’s connected with Esme. Nikolas says, Esme sounds very special. It’s good to have someone like that in your corner. Spencer says, Esme’s the best.

Cameron tells Trina that Josslyn’s at the gym, and asks if she can hang out a while she finishes up. Trina says she can, and he gives her the phone. Trina tells Josslyn, bottom line, Esme’s up to something, and she’s dragging Spencer along with her. Esme walks into the gym and waves to Josslyn, and Josslyn says she’ll be right there. Esme tells Josslyn, hi, and asks if she’s there for kickboxing class. Josslyn says, actually, she was on her way out. Enjoy the class. Esme says, wait. Josslyn can’t leave.

Sonny asks if Nina likes his headstone. His family wanted to leave him a marker even though they didn’t find his body. They wanted a place where they could grieve. Of course (🍷) he’s one state away, thinking, where’s the family who cares so much about him? They’re not looking for him. She says he has every right to be angry with her, and he says, she’s damn right he does. She knew about this, and he was just going on with his life. She could have stopped it months ago, but she didn’t. She says she knows it’s not enough to say it, but she’s so sorry for the pain she’s caused him. He says, him? What about his family? His kids? Avery knew who he was, but Donna didn’t recognize him. He was like a stranger to her. Nina claims she feels bad about what she did to him, but not one word about his wife Carly.

Jason asks Carly how it went after he left, and she says, good. Sonny stayed up practically all night with the kids. She went up to bed to give them some time alone, and Sonny slept in the guest room. She had Sonny’s clothes brought down from the attic, and he put on one of his suits this morning. It was really great to see him looking like himself. Jason says he bets it was, and she says, what about him? Where did he go? He says, home, to his apartment, and she says, he hasn’t lived there in a while. He says, she and the kids needed him there. They don’t anymore.

Trina asks if Cameron didn’t say there were surveillance cameras in the parking garage. Maybe she can get her mom to get security to let her look at the footage, to see if Esme was anywhere near Ava’s car that night. Cameron says he’s going to be honest. He thinks involving her mom is a bad idea. Remember the trouble he nearly got his mom in when he accessed hospital records using her password? She says she gets where he’s coming from. They’re back to trapping Esme and Spencer into confessing they’re the stalkers. He says he doesn’t think that’s the right way either, and she says, he sure is coming up with a lot of obstacles. How about solutions? He says he’s sorry, but he personally thinks the best option is being straightforward. Maybe if the three of them talked to Spencer… She says, she already tried confronting Esme and Spencer, and it was a disaster. Think about it. If they were guilty, why admit to it? Cameron has a history with Spencer. Is he the confessing type? He says, no. Spencer’s fallback is always deny, deny, deny. She says, okay then. They have to be as devious as Esme and Spencer. They have to lay a trap for them.

Josslyn says, she can’t leave? Why not? Esme says she has the feeling Josslyn is avoiding her, but Josslyn says, no. She needs to be somewhere. Esme says she thought this would be a good opportunity for them to spend some time together… hang out. Spence told her what a good friend Josslyn has been to him. Anyone important to him is important to her. Josslyn says, it sounds like things are getting pretty serious, and Esme says, definitely. Did Josslyn know they just moved into Windymere? Josslyn says she thinks Spencer mentioned it, but things have been so crazy since Sonny came back. Esme says, wait, what? Sonny Corinthos, Spencer’s uncle? She thought he was dead. Josslyn says, it turns out he’s not. She’s sorry. She has to change. People are waiting for her. Esme says, no worries. They’ll be plenty of time to get together. She’ll be around.

Nikolas says he was surprised when Spencer introduced him to Esme, and Spencer says, it was a night of surprises. Nikolas says, starting with the party Spencer hadn’t cleared with him, and Spencer says, and ending with Nikolas terrorizing him and his guests. Nikolas says, he hopes Spencer found a way to forgive him for thinking he was Ava’s stalker, and Spencer says, they’ve already hit the reset button on that, haven’t they? Nikolas says he knows how difficult it can be to let go. Forgiveness doesn’t come easy to us Cassadines… Check.

Sonny says, Nina stole months of his life to get back at Carly, but she says, that’s not what it was about. He says, then why? and she says, because Carly was trying to take Wiley away from her; Carly was trying to erase her from his life. He says, so Nina wanted to erase him from Carly’s life. She wanted to punish Carly, and make her pay. She was talking about her grandson’s other grandmother and how unfair it was… She says, everything she said was true. She just wants to be in Wiley’s life. He even told her to fight for Wiley. He says, he did not say that; that was Mike. Mike doesn’t exist; he’s a phantom. His name on the back of his father’s watch. He clung to that, to Phyllis, to Lenny, and… She says, and to her. She didn’t think she’d find him in Nixon Falls. She didn’t expect to keep him a secret, certainly not for all those months. She admits at first it was about Carly, but the second she knew what happened to him, she picked up the phone to tell her, and Carly threatened her with all kinds of legal action, and she froze. She couldn’t do anything. Yes, she held back. Sonny says, Nina wanted to hurt Carly, and Nina says, she wanted to hurt Carly as much as Carly had hurt her. But that all changed when she got to know him as Mike; sweet Mike. They got closer and closer. She didn’t plan any of this. She didn’t expect things to wind up the way they did. He says, that’s her excuse? but she says, there’s no excuse for any of it. She was just hoping maybe he’d understand. He says, he understands. She stole his life from him.

Carly tells Jason, she keeps thinking about how she thought they would get so much pushback when they told people they were getting married. In the end, all of their family and friends said, of course (🍷) it makes sense. He says, because it did. They got married because they thought Sonny was dead. Otherwise, they never would have done it. She says, right, and now Sonny’s back with his family where he belongs, but she can’t help but think, if things had been different, they would have had a wonderful life together. He says he thinks so too, but that’s not what happened.

Josslyn sits with Trina and Cameron, and asks, what’s going on? Trina says, Ava is leaving Port Charles, walking away from her entire life because of this stalker situation. Josslyn says, okay, but when Trina called, she said this was about Spencer and Esme. She just ran into Esme at the gym, and she’s positive she was right the first time. That girl is not to be trusted. There’s just something about her. Trina says, right? She’s sketchy… beyond. Josslyn asks what Trina thinks Esme has gotten Spencer into, and Trina says she thinks Esme and Spencer are Ava’s stalkers. They’re acting as a team. Sure, Spencer was at Windymere the night Ava’s car got torched, but that was also the night Esme showed up. She had a supposed alibi, but it was lame. Josslyn says she’s not defending Spencer, but she doesn’t see him torching a car. Trina says, because he didn’t. Esme did. Josslyn says, but if they’re in on it together… and Trina says, maybe Esme did it and Spencer didn’t know about it, or maybe he did, and he was okay with it. Either way, they’re working together. Josslyn says, Cameron is being silent. What does he think? Cameron says he knows he’s been pumping the brakes on this, but it is kind of weird, Spencer being in town on the downlow for so long. He was really upset when Ava refused to testify against Valentin. That’s why his grandmother sent Spencer away, for his own good. Spencer holds a grudge. Josslyn says, and Esme’s working him every chance she gets. Spencer likes to think he’s all sophisticated, but she thinks he’s in over his head with Esme. Trina says, Esme’s very persuasive with Spence.

Spencer says Nikolas said he was surprised when Esme showed up as his girlfriend. Why? Doesn’t Nikolas think he’s got game? Nikolas says he knew Spencer had game. He’d just seen Spencer with Trina, and it looked like they were connecting. The couple times Spencer mentioned her, it sounded like she was important to him. Spencer says, it’s not like that. Trina is great, and he likes her a lot, but as a friend. Nikolas says, all he can tell Spencer is, that night on the turret, he didn’t seem like a guy with a girlfriend.

Britt says, Nina had Peter in her sights, and didn’t call the cops, or Anna? Scotty says, so the trip to St. Lucia was a cover-up, so Obrecht could knock off Peter August. Maxie says, that was the general impression she got, and Scotty says, she should have called the cops. Maxie says, she couldn’t because Peter was blackmailing her. Scotty asks what Peter would be blackmailing Nina over, and Maxie says, Sonny. Scotty asks, what the hell does Sonny have to do with this? and Britt tells Maxie that she already knows. Jason told her. Scotty says, you two girls need to tell me what’s going on, and Britt says, Sonny Corinthos is alive. He asks her to say it again. He’s starting to think he’s in the middle of a nightmare, and Britt tells him, Sonny Corinthos is alive and well. He came home last night. Scotty says, of course (🍷) he did, because he’s impossible to kill, because he’s like a palmetto bug. Ha-ha-ha! I love Scotty. Maxie thinks they should refocus. Liesl told Nina to tell Peter that there was a lead on Louise in St. Lucia, and Anna and Valentin were hot on the trail. Nina thought that would convince Peter to go, but somehow, Peter found out what was going on, and turned the tables on them. Scotty says, so he and Obrecht were gassed up, they hijacked the plane… Wait a minute. That’s why Liesl said she couldn’t die; she needs to help Nina. Britt says, plane crashes are Peter’s M.O. He did it to silence Drew Cain. Who’s to say he woudn’t do it again? I think someone needs to tell he that an M.O. happens more than once. Scotty says, but why chuck him out like a sack of potatoes? He was a loose end. And where’s the evidence of a plane crash? Britt says, because there wasn’t one. Her mother’s not dead.

Obrecht suggests she and Victor stop this cat and mouse. He’s proven he can get to her whenever he wants. That being the case, let her go back to Port Charles. She has urgent business there. He says, family business. A grandson, a very troubled niece, and that bumbling idiot she calls a boyfriend. She says she also has a daughter who needs her mutter now more than ever. He says, yes, Britt’s diagnosis is troubling. Huntington’s; dreadful disease. Yet one more reason to hate her father. She says, Cesar is dead. Hating him is a waste of time and energy. She must focus on her daughter. She was supposed to attend a medical conference touching on cutting edge research for Britt’s condition. He says, remarkable how a symposium on inherited diseases just happened to pop up in her inbox at this exact moment in time. She says, there was no medical conference. It was a trap. Has he no shame? He says, why should he be ashamed? Everything’s worked out neatly. He’d always planned to bring her there anyway, and the timing couldn’t be more perfect. She says, and now he detains her when Britta needs her, and he says, Britt needs her alive. He saved her from herself. He says they both know she had bigger plans than attending a medical conference.

Sonny says, Nina took advantage of the situation. She didn’t give a damn about him and his real life. And while he was cleaning beer off a bar, the entire empire he built, everything he cares about, was threatened. Nina says, but he was away from that. He was away from the mob for once. He was in danger. He was safer there in Nixon Falls than he would have been here. He asks if she’s saying she was protecting him for his own good. That’s not her job, and he doesn’t want it. He’s not some drifter living off the kindness of strangers. He could have taken all the worry form Phyllis and Lenny. He could have made a call, and erased all their debt. He would have given them security, and maybe, for just a little bit of time, Lenny could have had peace. Nina says what he gave Lenny and Phyllis was so much more important. He gave them friendship, love, and loyalty. He’s right. She lied to him. She kept him away from his family, friends, and business, but he’s wrong about Mike. He wasn’t just a hapless drifter. He was loyal and hard-working. He was fearless and a devoted friend. He was a good man. Maybe the kind of man Sonny always longed to be. So take it from someone had the privilege of knowing him up close and personal, Mike the bartender was just as real as Sonny Corinthos.

Carly tells Jason, this morning, she walked in the kitchen, and Sonny was making coffee, like always. He asks if it finally tasted right, and she says, it did. She tells Jason that she missed him, and she’s worried about him, but he says she doesn’t have to; he’s fine. She tells him, he always says that, and he says, because it’s true. He sighs and shrugs, and says, maybe things will just go back to the way they were. It’s what they’ve got to do. She’s got a life and a family with Sonny. She says, and he’s a huge part of that life. Please tell her that’s not going to change.

Trina says, maybe they can record Spencer and Esme without them knowing. What if she accuses them and leaves? They might say something incriminating when they think they’re alone. Cameron says, so she’s talking surveillance equipment, and Josslyn says, don’t hate her, but she’s the one having second thoughts now. Esme is one thing, but do they really want to trap Spencer? Trina says, what if it exonerates him? That’s the outcome she’s hoping for. She thinks Josslyn is right. Spencer’s in over his head with Esme. Before Esme came, Trina was getting to know Spencer. Sure, he’s a lot, but underneath all that posturing and arrogance is some real vulnerability. Maybe even some kindness. Josslyn says she agrees. Spencer can be astonishingly sweet… when not being self-absorbed and oblivious. Trina says, despite everything, that’s why she doesn’t want anything bad to happen to Spencer. Despite herself, she’s kind of gotten to like him.

Spencer tells Nikolas that he and Trina are good friends, and Nikolas asks, is that all? Before he met Esme, he thought Spencer and Trina were headed toward something. Spencer admits, there was an attraction, a spark. Trina’s beautiful, smart, direct, and she’s a good person; one of those people who genuinely wants to do the right thing without being too preachy. Why wouldn’t he like her? But it can’t go anywhere. Esme’s his person. Esme comes in, and says, oh good, they’re together. Spencer asks, what happened to kickboxing and home décor? and she says she had to rush back to tell him. His uncle is alive. Spencer asks what she’s talking about, and she says, his uncle, Sonny Corinthos. He came home last night. Josslyn just told her. He says, Uncle Sonny’s alive? That’s fantastic! Wait until she meets him; he’s the best. Nikolas says, if Sonny’s back, Avery is protected. Ava won’t have to worry about her daughter so much. He thanks Esme, says he has to go, and jets. Esme asks why Spencer is standing there grinning like the Cheshire Cat? He says, because his uncle, who he loves, is alive, and she says, and his father just took off so fast, he left a vapor trail. Can’t he see this is a disaster?

Victor says, when he intercepted Obrecht, he also let Peter know that he almost walked into her trap. He was most appreciative. She says, he’ll regret his dealing with Peter. Everyone does eventually. To be clear, that degenerate has threatened to kidnap her beloved James, and use him as a substitute for his own lost child. If that happens, if Peter gets his hands on James, or harms Nina, or Maxie, or her Britta, she will hold him responsible. He says he’s well aware of the hazards of associating with Peter. Although he still thinks Henrik suits him better. She says if he’s trying to win her over by disparaging Peter, don’t waste his breath. She loathes Peter, but that doesn’t make her feel any warmer towards him. He says, it’s not good strategy to antagonize him, and she says, has she hurt his feelings? He says, she’s acting against her own interests. Britt may not have long before her symptoms manifest. Does Obrecht really want to spend what might be Britt’s last healthy months there, locked up in this room? She asks what he wants, and he tells her, forget her foolish, stubborn pride. Let him back in her heart.

Britt plops into a chair, and says, she’s okay; she’s just really relieved. Maxie says she prays Britt is right, but what makes her think Obrecht is still alive? Britt says, Scotty just said it; he’s a liability. Peter hates loose ends. If he wanted to get rid of her mother, he would have crashed the plane, whether Scotty was on it or not. Maybe he’s holding her mother hostage for leverage. It’s the first time she’s felt confident that they can find her mother, and rescue her. Assuming she doesn’t rescue herself first. Scotty says, he was given the bum’s rush, and thrown out of the plane, but he’s here. He tells Britt, he has a new mission, and that’s to save her mother’s life.

Sonny tells Nina, just because he remembers who he is, doesn’t mean he forgot what happened for the last nine months. He remembers when she came to him; they were talking, they were dancing. He remembers everything. How she led him on, and didn’t say anything is unforgivable. She says she knows, and he says, that’s all she’s got to say. She says she has plenty to say, but none of it will make a difference. All her reasons, all her justifications, her excuses she made to herself; it’s not going to make a difference. Yes, she was angry at Carly, but nothing she did in Nixon Falls was malicious. Just the opposite. She can see him, how he was there; laughing and at peace. She wanted to give that to him. He says he didn’t know what he’d lost. He didn’t know what her lies took from him. She says she hopes she didn’t cause any problems between him and Carly. She knows he’s not going to believe this, but all she wanted was for him to be happy.

Jason says he’s not going anywhere, and Carly says, no matter what it costs? He says, it cost him nothing. You can’t lose what you never had. What she had with Sonny, that’s real. Did Sonny say anything else about where he’s been? She says, just a small town in Pennsylvania, and the locals were good to him. She thinks he’s waiting to talk to Jason about it. Jason says, probably, and she says, Sonny’s never going to understand the big hole he left in their lives when he disappeared, or the void she would have fallen into if it wasn’t for Jason. She puts her hand on his, and he says, they were there for each other. He puts his other hand over hers, and she says, like always.

Spencer tells Esme, lighten up. She’s going to love his Uncle Sonny. He can be a little intense, but when he loves you, he’s got your back 100%. She says, that’s what she’s worried about. Did he hear his father? He said Sonny could protect Avery, which takes away Ava’s incentive to leave. Where does he think his father’s heading right now? Ava. Just when they were this close to breaking them up for good. They have to do something.

Nikolas goes into Charlie’s, and asks Trina if Ava is around. She wasn’t at the gallery. Trina says, that’s because Ava already said her goodbyes. He asks if he can talk to Trina for a second, and she steps away from the table with him. He says he knows how close she and Ava are… and Trina says, she’s sorry, but she has to stop him right there. She can’t tell him anything Ava told her in confidence. He says he gets that, but he needs to know where Ava went. If he can find her, he may be able to stop her from leaving Port Charles. She asks, how? and he says he hasn’t got time to explain. All he can say is, the situation has changed. Will Trina help him?

Obrecht says, Victor told her that he’d let her see Britt. Why should she trust his word? He says, because as she can plainly see, he still has feelings for her. She says she can plainly see he’s trying to manipulate her; lure her into complacency. He says, just the opposite. She’s a brilliant woman. He wants them to help each other. She laughs, and says he has a strange way of asking for her help. A gilded cage is still a cage. He says, collaborate with him on a certain research project, and he guarantees she’ll have contact with her daughter. She says, and if she refuses? and he says, then she stays there, far away from her last surviving child. All those years she spent devoted to Faison, and how did he repay her? By murdering her beloved son. Britt’s all she has left. She’s a lovely woman. She reminds him a lot of Obrecht. No sign of Huntington’s yet, and he can give her a way to be with Britt. All she has to do is cooperate.

Carly says she’s glad she and Jason requested donations to the Alzheimer’s Association in lieu of presents. Now she doesn’t have to return anything for the shortest marriage in history. How long were they married? Three hours tops? She knows it wasn’t legal, but she meant the vows when she said them. He says, so did he, and she says, they’ll be okay, right? He says, they are okay, because she’s got him, and he’s got her. No matter what. She says, no matter what, and puts her head on his shoulder. He puts his arm around her.

Sonny tells Nina not to worry about him and Carly. He’s at home with his family where he belongs. She says, good. She’ll try to stay out of his way. She’s really sorry about the pain she caused him and his family, and the time she took from all of them. And she’s really sorry about letting him fall in love with her. She should have known better, and she should have known better than to fall in love with him too.

Trina says she wishes she could help Nikolas, but Ava might already be gone. He asks if Trina thinks she left, and Trina tells him, she did say something about making one last stop and unfinished business. Nikolas thanks her, and leaves. Trina sits back down, and Josslyn asks, what was that about? Trina says, inspiration. She knows how they can trap Esme and Spencer.

Spencer tells Esme, don’t overthink this. Ava is leaving today. She might already be gone. Father can try all he likes; he won’t change her mind. Esme asks if they should really take that chance, after all their hard work? He says, their hard work paid off. Ava’s made up her mind. Any last minute appeal made by his father won’t make a difference.

Britt tells Scotty, her mother’s been in tight situations before and survived. The just need a lead; some idea of where she might be. Maxie says, Obrecht has held her own with Peter before. Peter is so arrogant, and over-confident. Scotty says, that will be his downfall. Letting Scotty live, big mistake, because he’s going to find Obrecht, and take Peter August out.

Obrecht tells Victor that she can’t lose Britt, not after losing Nathan. She has no choice but to trust that he’ll keep his word. He puts his hands on her shoulders, and says, don’t worry, darling, the worst is over now. She whips around, and puts a knife to his throat, saying, wrong again, darling.

Sonny tells Nina, whatever happened in Nixon Falls is over. Nina says he’s back in his life; she accepts that. But she can’t pretend the last nine months didn’t happen. Mike will always be in her heart. Sonny remembers kissing Nina, and says she’s got to stop fooling herself. Mike’s gone. She has to forget he ever existed. She says she can’t do that. She can never forget what she and Mike shared.

Carly sits up, and asks if it’s weird for Jason. He says, it’s a little weird, but it will wear off. She says, getting there is going to be… He says, yeah, they’ll get there. He has to go. He needs to talk to Diane about this whole Buscema/Novak thing. He knows the cops are going to call. She says, there’s something they need to talk about. What are they going to tell Sonny? About what? It’s not like they slept together.

On Monday, Chase asks what’s up with Finn and Elizabeth, Obrecht tells Victor that he won’t be so lucky, and Sonny tells Nina they were great together. Although I have the feeling there’s a but coming after that.

Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles

JoshF was dealing with Jeannie, the owner of the Macapa house, a throwback to the Rat Pack days (the house, not Jeannie). She wanted to sell, but wanted a buyer who was not going to tear it down. I can’t imagine why more of these old homes aren’t kept as is, since they clearly have historic value, but, way it goes. She also wanted Josh to sell in two weeks. He called his friend Zach, who did a lot of deals in the area, and dealt with people who appreciated an historic home. Josh told Zach, the house was in Hollywood hills east, had fabulous views, and a lot of land. Zach asked if the house was something salvageable, since he had a writer couple who loved re-doing homes. He asked Josh to send a video, but still wanted to take a look in person. He wanted protocol taken though, since he was a germaphobe who wouldn’t touch elevator buttons before the pandemic.

James and David went to look at house in Windsor Square, Hancock Park. Apparently, it had been the place to be in the 40s and 50s for people with old money, and began appealing to the Hollywood crowd. Both Nat King Cole and Mohammad Ali had once had homes there. The seller’s rep Hilary met them at the house, which was pretty big; 8058 square feet, 5 bedrooms, 7 baths, the primary suite alone being 1500 square feet. It was built in 2016 and had an entertainer’s kitchen. As I’ve said before, they’ve never explained these terms, and I have no clue what they mean, but I have the feeling entertainer’s means bigger. There was a boutique-style closet, which I took to mean as big as a store. Hilary said it was the size of her first apartment, and I thought, I could fit my first apartment in one of the dresser drawers. In his interview, David or James said it was a unique house, which should appeal to every demographic, but the area usually attracted older clientele. It was a beautiful place, but didn’t have the same cache Beverly Hills. The house also had a movie theatre, which prompted (I’m pretty sure) David, to tell us in his interview, that he’d always wanted to be James Bond, because he was so suave, but it was never going to happen. Agreed. Hilary said her client’s bottom line was $10 million, and either David or James said he thought it was a good number, but the other one said he thought it was too much for the area. In their interviews, one said it was unusual for them to disagree about pricing, but the other said they always disagreed. Apparently, even they don’t know what’s going on with them. They did some showings, but didn’t have much luck. Everyone loved the house, but thought it was overpriced, but Hilary wouldn’t budge.

JoshF met Zach at the Macapa house, wearing a full-on orange Hazmat suit. Zach wore a bandana anyway. Although using a bandana instead of a mask when he was so paranoid, didn’t make sense. Zach said the house wasn’t ideal, but the bones were incredible. He took a ton of pictures, including the unobstructed view of the Hollywood sign. He FaceTimed with his client, and in Josh’s interview, he said a lot of people were buying houses without seeing them because of covid. Zach made a great pitch, getting pretty excited about the house, and what features should be kept.

On his way to Dolph Lundgren’s house, Fredrik called his brother to brag. In Fredrik’s interview, he said, growing up in Sweden, he wanted to be Dolph. Dolph explained that he was going to be doing Aquaman 2, would be away a lot, and wanted to sell. He’d acquired the 5230 square foot, 4 en suite bedroom house for $3.9 million. It was nice, and very big, but the word that sprang to my mind was suburban. There was a beautiful lap pool, a full gym, and a movie theater. The most impressive thing was a poster from Rocky IV that Sly Stallone had gifted him. It had been made in Africa, and painted on burlap. The house had panoramic city views, but even I noticed the ginormous telephone pole outside the primary suite, and the abundance of poles and wires outside. Dolph suggested planting palm trees. Fredrik felt it should be priced at $3.995, and while there were crickets for a moment, Dolph agreed. He just wanted to jet. He wanted Fredrik to get it sold in 60 days, but although it was priced well – because of the pole – Fredrik said houses in that area usually took 90 days, and he didn’t want to disappoint his childhood hero. Dolph told Fredrik, if he lies, he dies.

James and David continued to show the Windsor house, which somehow acquired GH’s moss bowl 🎍. It was a really gorgeous house. In (I think) David’s interview, he said, they could get clients in the door, but the house next door was half the price. If they wanted to do it, they had to be more realistic. James insisted they could do it, and in his interview, he said, being positive sometimes worked to his advantage, and sometimes didn’t, but if you went in not believing in the price, the energy would rub off on the client and agent.

JoshF met Zach privately at Dan Tana’s. Privately like they closed the restaurant for him. Zach said he had an offer of $2.8 million, and Josh said Jeannie had rejected $3.2 million. Zach said the main thing was, they wouldn’t tear it down. After some back and forth, Zach got his clients up to $3 million, and Josh tried to convince Jeannie that anyone who would pay top dollar would tear it down. There was value in them keeping it intact. Doing something he wouldn’t normally, Josh put Zach on the phone. In his interview, Josh said, sometimes a client was so emotionally invested, they needed to hear it from someone other than him. Jeannie liked that they weren’t developers, and was good at $3 million. Josh gifted Zach with the Hazmat suit. Meanwhile, David, or maybe it was James, tried to tell Hilary that the Windsor house was overpriced, but she wasn’t hearing it.

Fredrik did some private showings of Dolph’s house, and was pretty nervous because, Dolph. One potential buyer called Dolph’s pool a spool, since it was small, and when they got to the pole, he called the view a spiew. WTFueiw? In his interview, Fredrik said, a good broker had to take a negative and turn it into a positive, so he said the pool’s advantage was that it was private. Because of the pole, the house was priced lower than those with unobstructed views. Still, the spiew was a deal breaker.

David and/or James said they’d done countless showings, got two offers, and all they ended up with was pushback about the price. In maybe David’s interview, he said he trusted his gut, and took matters into his own hands, telling the buyer that the seller was flexible on the price. He said, sometimes you had to help the client by doing the opposite of what they wanted. They got two offers of $8.8 and $8.9 million, and went to visit Hilary and her two cute dogs. James admitted he’d f***ed up, and David admitted he’d gone outside the rules. He said he knew Hilary must know something they didn’t, and Hilary said, of course she did. The seller’s bottom line was $9.5 million, not 10. She told them, the best generals don’t ask for permission, but beg for forgiveness. They ended up having a deal at $9.450.

Next time, JoshF meets with Suzanne Sommers, Dolph pressures Fredrik, and Tracy’s sister puts her house on the market.
