What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Alexis visits Sam, who says she can’t do this today. Alexis says she hasn’t been drinking. She just wanted to talk to Sam. Sam asks if Alexis is going to tell her that she’s getting help, and Alexis asks if she can come in. Sam says she thinks they’ve said everything they need to say, and Alexis tells her, they said a lot, but not everything. She’d appreciate one more chance.

Tracy wonders if she should take Ned leaving town personally, but Olivia said she made him promise it would just be a turnaround business trip. Tracy asks why Olivia didn’t go, and Olivia says Ned told her that she’d be bored. Besides she has to be there for Leo and Rocco. Monica says, lots of comings and goings these days, and Olivia says she feels lucky her Dante is back, and she and Ned are back on track. Adversities can challenge a marriage, but luckily, theirs is still strong. Olivia leaves for work, and Tracy asks Monica what Ned is avoiding. Her or Olivia?

At the hospital, Peter says he’s glad Maxie’s appointment went well, and Maxie says she wishes she could text Lulu like she used to. Peter asks if she doesn’t think if Lulu was there, she’d want Maxie to move on with her life, and grab happiness for herself. Maxie says, of course (🍷), but easier said than done. Planning a double wedding is going to be a lot of work. Peter tells her, Anna didn’t say yes, but she says, Anna said she had to talk to Finn. She’s not worried about that. Finn strikes her as the show me where to stand kind of groom.

Finn tells Anna, if he gets the all-clear today, he can go back to work. She’s glad he took the time off seriously, and says he had a nice visit with his dad. He says, it was unexpected. Violet finally got to meet her grandfather, and it was nice seeing the two of them together. She says while he was catching up, she had an interesting conversation with Maxie. Finn takes out his phone and messes with it, and she says Maxie had an unusual idea for their wedding. He says, what’s that? but he’s clearly is paying more attention to his phone. She asks if something is wrong, and he says, it’s Violet’s preschool. They want copies of her vaccination records right away. He says he has to do this now, and she supposes it can wait. They agree to meet back at the reception desk in an hour.

Franco and Scotty walk into the WSB Complex in Geneva. Franco says if security is any indication, they’re serious around there, and Scotty says he’s a big time doctor. Franco thanks Scotty for coming with him, and they approach the reception desk. Franco introduces himself, and says he’s there to see Dr. Kirk. Dr. Kevin Collins made a referral. Receptionist Helga asks if he’s sure it’s today. Dr. Kirk has seen his last patient for the day, and she has no referrals from a Dr. Collins. Scotty says they just flew 20 hours to get there, and Franco says there must be a mistake. They have badges; they’re legitimate. She says, even so, Dr. Kirk isn’t available until March 16th. Franco says he can’t wait that long. She says she’s sorry, but she can’t help him. The office will be closing soon; please see themselves out. She goes into the back, and Franco hears Peter’s voice, saying, I’m telling you, I want this to happen now. He  tells Scotty, he’s hearing the voice in his head. It’s got to be the tumor. Does Scotty think the personality shift is going to start happening now? Scotty suggests they see what the doctor says, but Franco thinks he’s not going to see the doctor. Scotty says he is, and tells him, come on.

Kirk calls Dante for a progress report, and Dante says he’s at GH right now. He found the file on Andre, but can’t find anything incriminating on Peter. If he orchestrated this, he covered his tracks well. Kirk says they know for a fact Peter is responsible for the attacks, and the murder of Drew Cane. It’s Dante’s job to find the proof. Peter August is a bad man who must be stopped. Dante says he’ll complete the mission, and turns around to see Anna.

Elizabeth resends Violet’s immunization papers, and asks Finn how Violet is doing. He says, she’s amazing. She met her grandfather for the first time. He was surprised at how easy it went. Next thing he knew, she’s having a tea party and he’s telling a story. She says, kids are very perceptive. It sounds like his father is a good guy.

Anna says she was hoping to run into Dante, and they hug. She apologizes for interrupting, and asks if it was about Lulu. How is she? He says, there’s no change in her condition, and Anna says she’s sorry. To come back, and have that happen… He says he’s just trying to put one foot in front of the other. She says, what else can he do? She asks if he wants to get a coffee and catch up, and he says, sure.

Tracy says she saw the look on Monica’s face when Olivia started talking about her glowing marriage. Clearly, something’s not so glowing. Olivia seems oblivious, so Ned must be the culprit. Spill. Monica says, okay. Tracy’s son cheated on his wife.

Sam lets Alexis in, and Sam apologizes for not having put Scout’s toys away yet. Alexis says she’s sure Scout is happy to be home, and not locked in Sonny’s compound. Sam asks what brings her by, and Alexis says she wants to apologize for what she said on Thanksgiving. It was a cardinal sin as a mother. She’s sorry for the constant disparagement of Jason. He’s Danny’s father; he’s essentially Scout’s father. They’re a unit and a family, and Sam is an adult. Sam tells her, stop.

Obrecht tells Kirk that he needs to go to Port Charles immediately. His control over Dante is slipping. Kirk says, Dante is still following orders, but she says, still, it would be better if he saw Dante in person to reenforce the subliminal trigger. Kirk says, of course (🍷). Would she come with him? She says there will be plenty of time for them to be together, once the truth about Peter is made public. Then they’ll be free to live their lives as they see fit. It isn’t their time yet. He says her charges were dismissed. She’s a free women; why wait?

Franco tells Scotty, the prisons in Switzerland aren’t made of chocolate, and Scotty says, it’s a WSB facility. They’ll probably shoot them first. Franco says he’s not sure he can even get in to see the doctor, but Scotty says they will.

Alexis says she’s sorry, and Sam says, no; she’s sorry. She didn’t sleep much. Alexis says Sam has a lot going on, and she should do what it takes to make it easy. She came to make amends. She’s letting Sam know she should live her life the way she sees fit, and she respects that Sam’s choices are her own. Sam asks if this is an attempt to get her to accept Alexis’s drinking. Alexis says, it’s not, and Sam says she’s not there for Alexis’s live and let live attitude right now. Alexis wants Sam to accept the drinking in her life, so she’ll accept Jason in Sam’s. Alexis says she’s Sam’s mom, and wants to be in her daughter’s life, and her grandkids lives. She loves and misses them. Sam says, it’s not enough. What Alexis does in her life affects them. Alexis says not if it’s not in front of them. Why can’t she just live her own life at home? Sam says she doesn’t have to watch. There’s a knock at the door, and Sam opens it to Elizabeth. Sam says her mom was just leaving, and Alexis says, nice to see Elizabeth. She’s there if Sam needs her. Alexis jets, and Elizabeth apologizes for showing up unannounced. Sam says it’s okay, and asks what brings her by. Elizabeth says she wanted to talk to Jason. Is he there? Sam says he’s not.

Maxie and Peter run into Finn, and Maxie says he’s looking well. Is he back to work? He says he hopes soon. He’s there for a final check-up, and asks if they’re there for a check-up too. Peter says, Maxie is, and Maxie says, all’s good on the baby front. She wanted to talk to him, and wonders if Anna spoke to him about the wedding. Finn says Anna told him… something, and Maxie asks if Anna is as excited as she is. What does he think? He says, wedding details are more Anna and Violet’s thing, not his so much. Whatever they say goes. Maxie says she knew he’d say that. She can’t wait to walk down the aisle to him. She hugs him

Tracy asks if Ned is having an affair, but Monica says, no. It was when Olivia was in Europe. It was a one night thing; where alcohol and poor judgement took over. Tracy says, it only takes one night to blow up a life. What was Ned thinking? Monica says she thought Tracy didn’t like Olivia, but Tracy says Olivia has grown on her. She understands the concepts of family and loyalty, and makes Ned happy. But Olivia expects loyalty in return. She’s not one to stand by and accept infidelity. Ned is in danger of losing her. She asks what Monica has done about this.

Anna and Dante sit at the bistro, and Anna says it must have been a heart-wrenching decision to put Lulu in long-term care. Dante says, it was Laura’s decision; she brought him in on it. Silver Water Long-Term Care is where Lulu is. It’s where Sonny and Carly put Michael, and he’s praying they can do the same thing for Lulu that they did for him. Anna says, Rocco must be devastated. He’s going to need his father. Dante says he’s been thinking about that. Rocco not only lost his mother, Dante understands Rocco was close to Lulu’s boyfriend Dustin. Anna says, but Dante is his father, and Dante says, who he barely knows. The whole time he was in Geneva, he thought about coming back. For the longest time, he couldn’t believe it was possible, and when he did, the only thing he wanted to do was rebuild his family. She says, then this happened. She’s really sorry. He tells her, be sorry for Lulu, Laura, and Rocco, not him. He doesn’t deserve it. She says, he had PTSD. He was sick, and went away to get better. What happened in Geneva?

Helga asks what Scotty and Franco are doing. They can’t be back there; it’s authorized personnel only. She’s calling security. They follow her back to the front desk.

Obrecht tells Kirk, they have to stay focused on the mission. Once Peter is exposed for the dangerous traitor he is, then they will be free to live their lives as they see fit. He says, then he’ll push Dante even harder. He wants this mission, and this wait, to be over. Franco begs Helga to let him see the doctor, but she says she told him the doctor has no appointments. There’s the door. She suggests they use it. Franco starts speed talking, telling her who he is, about Elizabeth and the boys, and how Doc told him he could get help there. He asks her to let him see Dr. Kirk. Let him live long enough to see his boys grow up.

Obrecht tells Kirk, it’s unkind of him to tempt her, but they must be strong. Helga buzzes the doctor, and he tells her, he said no interruptions. She says she’s sorry, but a man is there from the United States, Port Charles, New York. He insists on seeing him. Obrecht tells Kirk to find out who it is, and Kirk asks, what’s his name? Helga says, Franco Baldwin. He claims to have an appointment. Obrecht says Kirk has to see him. He was a dear friend. If he’s come all this way, he must be in trouble. Please see him. She’ll go into another office, and wait until he’s gone.

Elizabeth asks Sam where Jason is, and Sam says, out of town, working. Elizabeth says she was reaching out because of Jake. Sam asks if everything is okay, and Elizabeth says, he’s fine, but Franco is in Geneva, getting specialized treatment. She thought it might be nice for Jason to spend some time with Jake. It would keep his mind off Franco. Sam says, Switzerland is far away, and Elizabeth says, not only far away, but expensive. Franco is having a neurological issue, and Doc said there’s a doctor who might be able to give them an answer. She thought it was worth it for their peace of mind. Sam hopes it will work out, and Elizabeth says, it’s okay. Sam says, as far Jason goes, she thinks it would be best if Jake reached out directly. Elizabeth says she’ll tell Jake to text. Does Sam know when Jason will be back? Sam says she has no idea.

Monica asks Tracy how it’s her responsibility. Tracy is Ned’s mother. Tracy says Monica was supposed to be taking care of things in Port Charles. This is her idea of taking care? Monica says she took reasonable action. She spoke to Ned, and told him that he should come clean with Olivia. Tracy asks how that’s reasonable, and Monica says, Ned agreed. He refused to confess, and said he wasn’t going to hurt Olivia over something he was never going to do again. Tracy says, good; Ned learned his lesson. She wonders if they can pay the woman to keep quiet, but Monica says she doesn’t think Alexis can be bought. Tracy says, what? Ned slept with Alexis?

Alexis goes to the MetroCourt bar and orders a ginger ale. Then a double vodka. Alexis notices Olivia looking at her, and says she just ordered a drink; she’s not drunk. Although she’s working on it. She believes Olivia has other patrons who would benefit more from her convivial hospitality, and Olivia thanks her for the compliment, but she has her sights on Alexis right now. Alexis says there’s no need. She’s a grown woman, and aware of what she’s doing. Olivia says they like to tell themselves  that, but being grown-up doesn’t mean they don’t make poor choices. She’s made her share. Alexis says she didn’t come there to be social. Olivia says she knows. Alexis came there to get hammered. Alexis knows Olivia means well, but she has no intention of making a scene if that’s what Olivia is worried about. Olivia says she’s worried about Alexis. And so is Ned. They both want her to be okay. Alexis tells her, there’s no need to be worried. She’s in Olivia’s lovely establishment to have a drink. It’s not like a crime was committed. Olivia says, you don’t need to commit a crime to ruin a life or hurt a family member. She wishes Ned was there. He would know what to say.

Finn says, that’s a lot of enthusiasm, and Maxie asks why she wouldn’t be enthusiastic. Their wedding is going to rock. He says, oh, she means her wedding, and Maxie says, that’s the beauty of this arrangement; you’re wedding is our wedding. Peter says, maybe Anna didn’t communicate everything, and Finn says, Anna mentioned Maxie had a great idea for the wedding, but she didn’t… Maxie says, rewind. Forget she said anything. She thought of a double wedding. She knows it would mean sharing the spotlight, and Finn says he doesn’t care about the spotlight. Maxie says they don’t either. Combining their weddings will be a big, beautiful, family celebration. Unless he hates the idea. Is he saying no?

Dante tells Anna, he went in screwed up, and came out less so, hopefully. She says she has a personal interest, since she made the arrangements. She was getting updates on his progress, until the incident where he fired at Peter. After that, even with her clearance, there was an information blackout around him. Robert couldn’t make any headway, until he found Dante in the institution in Switzerland. He asks, why the interest? and she says she cares about him. She says, what’s the point? Why all the secrecy?

Franco thanks Dr. Kirk for seeing him, and Kirk says, fortunately, he was still there. Franco introduces Scotty, who gives Kirk Franco’s brain scans and medical records. Kirk apologizes for the mix-up. Franco says Doc was supposed to set up a meeting, and Kirk says he’s familiar with Doc’s work. When he got the call, he wondered why a clinical psychologist would be referring someone to him. Franco says, it’s a long story, and Kirk suggests they take a seat while he looks at the records. Obrecht listens outside the door.

Finn says Maxie has to forgive him. He doesn’t know much about double weddings. Maxie tells him, she thought he said he wanted what Anna wants. He says, that’s what Anna wants? Maxie says, it makes sense. Are they going to have their wedding one weekend, and turn around and have another one the next? Their lists essentially overlap, and it would be easier for the out of town guests. Finn says, if it’s what Anna really wants… and Maxie says, it’s settled then. It’s going to be a celebration Port Charles will never forget.

Dante tells Anna, his treatment was deeply personal, and no one’s business except his own. He told the doctors that he didn’t want to see his family. She says she didn’t mean to pry. She’s glad to see he’s recovered. He says he was feeling back to his old self, when this happened. Lulu is gone, and he’s just trying to keep going, putting one foot in front of  the other. How does he seem to be doing to her? She says, like an old friend who’s been though a lot. He says, it’s a glowing review, and she says she understands how it is on assignment. They mess with your head. It looks to her like he’s gone through some heavy stuff. It’s hard to pull out of it entirely. If he ever wants to talk, she’s there. She reaches for his hand, but he pulls it away. He says he appreciates it. He’ll figure it out. Right now, he just wants to look after his son, and protect the people he loves. He heard she and Finn were getting hitched. That’s great news; congratulations. When’s the big day?

Kirks says, fascinating. Franco is having auditory hallucinations. Does he consistently recognize the voice? Franco says it’s someone he knows casually, and he doesn’t want it banging in his head for the rest of his life. Not long ago, he had a brain tumor, and it influenced him to have antisocial behavior. It’s come back in the same spot, and he’s worried the behavior will come back again. Scotty says, tell Franco that’s not going to happen again. Kirk needs to know Franco is halfway to giving up. Franco says he’s glad Scotty came, but if he can’t sit quietly, he has to leave.

Sam tells Elizabeth that she and Jason are separating, and Elizabeth says she’s sorry. She asks if it was a mutual decision, and Sam says it was her choice. She realized she can’t keep raising Scout and Danny under constant threat of violence. That’s the reality in Jason’s world. Their kids have been through too much in their lives already. She can’t erase the past, but she can provide as much stability as possible moving forward. What she’s hoping for is, as much peace and stability as she can give them. She admires Elizabeth doing that for Jake. Elizabeth says, all she wants is peace and happiness for both their families. At the end of the day, they’re all kind of stuck with each other.

Alexis gets another drink, and Olivia wants to call a re-do on this. She says, hey, Alexis, how’s your day going? Alexis says, hey, Olivia. Pretty crappy. She reached out to her daughter Sam, and Sam turned her back on her. Olivia says she’s sorry to hear that. She’s willing to bet Sam feels she’s doing it out of love. It’s a tricky line to walk with the people they love most. That’s why Ned is eating himself up. He took the hard line with Brook, and drove her away. She thinks they’re dealing with the same kind of family dynamics, and Ned can help with Sam. Alexis says she knows what Olivia is trying to do, and it’s not working. She’s not up to talking. Olivia says what Alexis is doing isn’t working either, and friends don’t abandon each other.

Tracy tells Monica, Alexis has been nothing but trouble for Ned. Did she say alcohol was involved? She thought Alexis was in recovery. Monica says, not anymore, and Tracy asks how Monica can think the situation is under control? Drunk lips sink ships – and they sink marriages. Monica says, Alexis was quiet on Thanksgiving, and Tracy asks why Monica let her in the house. Monica says, Olivia invited her, and Tracy says she’s heard enough. She has to fix this.

Anna asks if Finn has been waiting long. She had coffee with Dante. He asks how it went, and she says, fine. How’d it go with him? He says, the exam went fine, but something else did come up. A double wedding she was planning with Maxie. Anna says she was trying to talk to him about that. How did he find out? He says he talked to Maxie. He thought it was totally nuts, but Maxie said Anna liked the idea. Anna says she doesn’t like the idea. She never agreed to the idea. He didn’t agree, did he? He says, only because he thought it was what she wanted, and she says, no, no, no. Did he say yes? He nods, and she says, what was he thinking?

Olivia says Alexis is clearly hurting. She wishes Alexis would just talk. Alexis says they’re back where they started. Olivia says she gets it, but she wanted Alexis to know she’s her friend. That’s why she’s doing this. Olivia tells bartender Jessie that Alexis has reached her limit. No more alcohol. Alexis says she’s a paying customer, and Olivia says Alexis knows she has the legal right of refusal, and she’s cutting Alexis off. If Alexis wants to talk, she knows where Olivia will be.

Monica warns Tracy to leave well enough alone, and Tracy asks, when has well enough alone worked for anybody? Monica says it’s none of Tracy’s business, but Tracy says, Ned is her son; he is her business. He’s settled, and married to a woman who adores and stands by him, and he blows it by sleeping with Alexis. Is he having a mid-life crisis? Monica says, it happened when Olivia went to Geneva with Robert Scorpio. Ned got the wrong idea, and ran into Alexis at a bar. Tracy asks if Ned is boozing it up now, and Monica says, no; it was one night. Tracy says, but Alexis still is. Does Monica have any idea how dangerous this is? If Alexis goes on a bender, and starts staying things… Monica says Tracy can’t control it, but Tracy says, maybe she can head it off at the pass.

Scotty walks out of the office, and Obrecht sneaks around. She listens at the door again. Kirk says there’s a WSB file on Franco; he was a patient of Andre Maddox. Franco says Andre performed an experimental procedure on him, and Kirk says, the file has no specifics. Franco says, that’s because it was a total success. It was before the tumor came back. Does Kirk think there’s a direct correlation? Kirk says, there’s a distinct possibility, yes.

Finn tells Anna, there’s no way he’s taking the blame. Why didn’t she tell him? She says she was caught up with other things. What possessed him? He says, Maxie told him that’s what she wanted, and she says, in what universe would she want a double wedding? He says, why didn’t she just tell Maxie, no? and she says she was going to use him to be the bad guy. He’d say no, then she could break it to Maxie gently. He says, great plan. Let him in on it next time. She says, now they’re stuck with it, and it’s his fault.

Dante is still in the bistro when Maxie and Peter come in. Maxie asks how Dante is doing, and he says, okay; how about her? She says, hanging in there. She’s focusing on the positive. Dante says, it’s all they can do. He says he doesn’t want his boss to catch him sleeping on the job; he should go. Peter says he wouldn’t think that, but Dante jets. Peter asks if Dante seemed weird, and Maxie says, Dante gets a pass. He’s grieving Lulu, and she understands. How would Peter feel if something happened to her? He says, nothing and no one is ever going to take her away from him.

Elizabeth asks if Jason fought Sam, and Sam says, no. He was surprised and upset, but he didn’t fight her on it. He said he wanted what was best for her and the kids. If it was like it was in the beginning, just the two of them, but it’s completely different now. Elizabeth says, that makes it more admirable. Sam put her kids first; that’s everything. She knows she wouldn’t be the first person Sam would call when she needs to talk, but she can be the second. Deal? Sam says, deal.

Alexis approaches Olivia, and says, okay, let’s talk. Olivia suggests they talk somewhere more private, but Alexis doesn’t want to. Is it that Olivia doesn’t want her to ruin the reputation of her establishment or herself? She’s not perfect either. Olivia tells Alexis, she never said she was, and Alexis is making a spectacle of herself. She’s drunk in the middle of the afternoon, and Olivia is worried about her. Alexis says she doesn’t want Olivia’s pity. Olivia needs to worry about herself and her marriage. Tracy walks in.

Helga tells Scotty, she’s going home. He has to go. Scotty says, hang on. He said he’d be there for his son. She says it’s not possible, and he says he’s not causing trouble. She tells him to wait at the café on the corner, and points to the elevator. He goes in with her, and when the doors close, Obrecht comes around the corner. She says, everyone is gone for the day. Now, the computer. What brings her Franco to this clinic?

Scotty comes back out of the elevator, sees Obrecht, and says, you.

Tomorrow, Tracy offers Alexis a job, Nikolas has a surprise for Ava, Julian tells someone that he’s a friend of Kim Nero’s, and Jason gets frustrated.

Southern Charm

The statue of John C. Calhoun came down. We saw the various news segments on it. Leva and Mona sat in the park, and watched. Leva was glad not to have this monster looking down on them anymore. She said it was a cool moment.

John played with sons Asher and Quinn, and I thought Asher must be a popular name in the South. Jennifer’s son is also Ascher, spelled differently, but same name. In his interview, John said his family went back eight generations, and probably did terrible sh*t, but he really didn’t know if they were slave owners. He said, whatever your family’s legacy was in the past, it didn’t have to be yours, and certainly not your children’s. Leva said there was huge wealth in the old families, but a lot of history came with it. Mona said most people weren’t educated, and in Leva’s interview, she said the silence in the South was deafening. She wished her friends cared more, but that’s the way it was there. Shep called John with the news he was negative, and the others were positive. John asked if Madison and Austen were still together. Social distancing had only made him hornier. Mona thought Kathryn must know about the history of her name, but Leva said sometimes when you were living in white privilege, you didn’t care. Welcome to Charleston.

Kathryn brought supplies to Craig, who came out wearing a mask, as was Kathryn, who also kept more than her social distance. Craig was holed up with Natalie and Taylor, who’d also tested positive. Taylor called Kathryn, and thanked her for dropping off a bag of spinach. She noted Kathryn had included a candle, and Kathryn said it was because when she thought virus, she thought of smells. Taylor said they had their scent back (by which I assume she meant sense of smell). Craig said he felt dirty, but Natalie and Taylor were quarantine angels. Kathryn congratulated Craig on HSN. In Craig’s interview, he said it was the biggest win for him. Kathryn said she was off the grid and off social media. She wanted to meet with Leva, and get some input as to how to move forward.

Everyone cheered when the statue came down. I don’t know if there are any trigger statues for me. Is there even a statue of Custer anywhere?

Venita and Madison had a socially distant visit on Madison’s porch. Madison said the salon had been closed for two months, and they’d been about to reopen, when Austen tested positive. She thought it was best if Hudson continued to stay with her ex. In Madison’s interview, she said during lockdown, Austen had been heavy on drinking, sleeping until noon, and playing video games. She told Venita, the boys thought they’d never get it. Shep, Little Craig (who has apparently gone from Lil to Little this season), Craig, Austen, and Whitney had a Zoom call, and Whitney thought it was a miracle Shep never got the virus. Austen felt like a statistic, and said he’d stayed on the couch for two days. She asked where it stood with Madison, and Austen said, not good. Venita asked Madison if she was officially done, and Madison said the whole relationship had been a struggle. Austen was all talk, no action, and lazy. In Madison’s interview, she says she couldn’t make someone be ready when they weren’t. Austen was wasting time, or maybe she was. Taylor wanted Shep to come to Craig’s and go through it with her, but he was like, no way.

Danni called Shep on her way to the dog park, but Shep didn’t want to go out. So Danni offered to bring her dog Lucy to his place. Shep talked through the door, and told Danni that Austen, Craig, and Taylor had the virus. In Shep’s interview, he said he was keeping himself in quarantine because who the hell knew how this worked. He told Danni that Taylor was mad because he was negative, and asked if she’d heard from Kathryn. Danni said Kathryn wasn’t responding to her, but she was blowing up Leva’s phone. In Shep’s interview, he said Kathryn could be sweet or a goddam terror. Danni felt taken advantage of, and wanted Kathryn to take accountability. Shep told her not to force it because when Kathryn was backed in a corner, she got really crazy. Kathryn called Leva, and asked if she wanted to meet and talk. Leva suggested they FaceTime right then and there, and in the most awkward conversation ever, Kathryn told Leva that her intention had been nothing racist or political. She was just standing up for friend. Leva said, it hit so many nerves because she thought of Kathryn as intelligent, and it wasn’t okay. In Leva’s interview, she said people wanted to coddle Kathryn, but it was her time for accountability. She said Danni had been Kathryn’s friend forever, and Kathryn needed to go fix that sh*t.

Craig practiced his pitch for Sewing Down South. Taylor said he’d done a good job, and he said she hadn’t known him when everyone thought it was crazy and stupid. We took a trip down Pillow Memory Lane, and he showed her the pillow tag with his name on it, which was kind of cool. She said he was amazing for taking her in. She wasn’t sure if she was going back to Shep’s, since she wasn’t a happy camper. In Craig’s interview, he said she needed attention and affection, and if Shep didn’t see it, he’d end up alone.

John took his boys to the batting cages, where he met Madison and Hudson. In his interview, he said a playdate took the heat off. If the kids hated each other, they may as well not talk again. Playdate dating; the way of the future. He flirted with Madison, and said she and Austen waffled. Madison said it had been two years off and on. Austen wasn’t ready to be a stepdad, and she had to move forward.

Craig said HSN was his chance for the big leagues. If he messed up, he wasn’t going to get back in. At least for a while. Whitney and Patricia watched his segment, and Whitney said Craig had surprisingly decent camera presence. He suggested Patricia had some competition, but in her interview, Patricia said she didn’t consider Craig competition. She was going to have pillows in her line, but they were luxury, while his were… affordable. Patricia asked if they should call Craig, and offer congratulations, and Whitney said, no, but it was more funny than mean. In Craig’s interview he said it was a landmark achievement in his life, and encouraged him to commit to going in this direction.

Danni went over to Leva’s place, and said her spread was Pinterest worthy. She was glad for some human contact, but she was having more human contact later, and was dreading it. Kathryn had called, and asked if they could do brunch. Danni said she couldn’t, but asked Kathryn to come by. Leva said she’d talked to Kathryn, and told her to fix her relationships. Danni wondered if Kathryn would have reached out if she hadn’t talked to Leva, but Leva didn’t think so. Danni said Kathryn didn’t know how to be a good friend, but she did know how to find one. Leva said a friendship like Danni’s was rare, and should be valued. If not, it should be goodbye.

Austen finally tested negative, and called Madison. He asked what she was doing, and she said, having a glass of wine. He told her was close by, and asked if she would pour him a glass. She said, okay, and when he got there, she told him that he looked healthy; not swollen or hung over. She told him they’d had this conversation two years too long. She’d expected him to do the right thing, but instead he ran the town with the boys. Austen whined that she was throwing things out there, and she said they were two different people on two different paths. He was doing is ass backward, and she was building a career she worked hard at. He had no work ethic. She didn’t want a 6-foot man on her back treading water for the rest of her life. She’d tried to make it work, but sometimes you hit a wall you can’t move past. She felt like they’d hit that wall, and it was an effing shame. She wanted to be with him. Austen said he didn’t know how to let her go. He loved her so much it hurt. He asked he for another chance, but she said it wasn’t an option. She learned her lesson. She wished him the best, and regretted nothing, but he wasn’t the one for her long term. He guzzled the rest of his wine, and left. Madison looked like she had a headache.

Danni called Leva, and told her Kathryn had said she was a few minutes away half an hour ago. Lave said Kathryn being late was rude enough. Danni said she was dreading it. Kathryn finally showed up, and said she’d heard ya’ll were saying she hadn’t tried to get in touch with Danni, but she had. Danni said she’d been reaching out for a while, and Kathryn said she’d gotten a message from Danni when she going through all of it. Danni said, exactly; she was concerned. Kathryn got defensive, and Danni asked why she hadn’t reached out. Kathryn said ya’ll were going around saying she was off the radar. Danni wondered who this ya’ll was Kathryn kept talking about, and Kathryn said Danni was always putting it on her, and acted like Kathryn wasn’t putting work into the friendship. The whole conversation went downhill fast, with Danni finally saying it was pointless, and thanks for wasting her time. Kathryn left, and Danni called her an unappreciative bitch.

Next time, Taylor thinks Shep is insensitive, John’s ex visits, Patricia hosts a dude’s day, and Austen tells John that Madison is off-limits.

🍸 Patricia was a virtual guest on Watch What Happens Live tonight, and revealed both she and Michael pick up dog poopies. Dog poop, the great leveler.

🐊 After While, Crocodile…

I’m desperate to be off to dreamland, and will bring the tea tomorrow. Until then, stay safe, stay well-rested, and stay not doing it ass backward.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Since it’s been that kind of week, I missed the beginning, but here’s what you need to know. Alex (pretending to be Anna), Peter, and Maxie went to Charlie’s for dinner. Peter suggested inviting Finn, but Alex/Anna said Finn was busy. While Jason waited for Franco at The Floating Rib, Robert asked to talk to him about Spinelli. Lulu met a source at The Rib, and asked how he knew Cyrus. He suggested doing the interview in private at his place, and Dante appeared, saying Lulu was taken. Curtis flew into the hospital, and asked Cyrus what he’d done to Jordan, but Cyrus said he was the reason Jordan got medical attention so quickly. And that’s where I came in.

Lulu tells Dante, he may not have noticed, but she’s doing an interview. She thanks him for suggesting a secure location, but says she doesn’t need rescuing. Dante tells her, he didn’t say she did. He’s just laying the ground rules so there’s no misunderstanding. The source says he knows Dante. Is he with the PCPD? Lulu says, Dante used to work there, but he has a new job. He probably should be studying up for it. Dante says, okay, but he’ll be right over there, pointing to a nearby table. Lulu apologizes, and asks where they were. He was about to tell her how he become acquainted with Cyrus. He says, never heard of him, gets up, and jets. Dante comes back, and says he didn’t think that guy was a reliable source anyway. Lulu says they use plenty of unreliable sources, and she can just check out the information they give her. That was the next step, but now she’ll have to start over with a new source. She worked like hell to get that one. Dante says, he’s a dirtbag, and she says, at least they agree on that. Dante, of all people, should know when you investigate a crime boss, you don’t meet the best people. He says when he was investigating a crime boss, he met her, and she says, look at how that turned out. She tells him, sorry; she shouldn’t have said that, and tells him not to take it the way it sounded.

Jason says, Spinelli would rather see Maxie with a broken heart than dead, and Robert says he never thought he’d see the day Jason took the moral high ground. Jason says, Robert hasn’t changed his mind about busting Peter, even though it will hurt Maxie, has he? Robert says he owes it to the Bureau and his family. You’d think Spinelli would be a better liar. He’s a surveillance man, a hacker, and a P.I., but he constantly trips over his own feet… Jason says, when it comes to Maxie. Robert says, he told Spinelli, no more pot shots, support the marriage, support Maxie, but Jason says, it’s not easy. Robert says they’re not looking at easy; they’re looking at necessary. When it hits the fan, Maxie will see this bastard for who he is, and will need every friend she can find, especially Spinelli.

Cyrus says, he would never wish harm to Curtis’s wife. She’s far too valuable a member of the community of Port Charles. He assures Curtis, he had nothing to do with Jordan’s collapse. Portia asks Curtis to join her and his wife – privately – in Jordan’s room, where she’ll explain everything. Curtis says, they’ve wasted too much time standing with Cyrus, and goes into Jordan’s room. Cyrus asks if he can have a word with Portia, and she asks if that’s an order. He says, a request.

Curtis asks, what happened? Is she okay? There’s no response at first, but Jordan slowly turns her head and looks at him, motioning him closer. She says she’s never been better.

Franco asks Elizabeth how he got so lucky. He’s actually asking; it’s not rhetorical. He loves her, and after the life he’s led, he’s just the luckiest guy in the world. She asks if he’s okay, and he says, right this second, he’s better than okay. His life, their life… He says he has to go, and Elizabeth asks where he’s going. He says he’s got to see a guy about a commission.

Finn sees the envelope from the lab in the wastebasket. He looks inside, but it’s empty. He makes a call, and says he’s at the house. How soon can they get there?

Alex tells Peter and Maxie, she wants to hear all about the wedding plans. It means so much to share moments like this together; it’s more rare than they realize. Maxie says she doesn’t know what she’d do without Anna. It means a lot to Peter to have her in his life. Peter says, more than she knows, and Alex says, nothing or no one is ever going to tear them apart again.

Valentin tells Anna, sorry. She says, if that’s an apology there are some things she can forgive; others, not so much. He says he should have taken Alex out when she called Peter her son. He missed his shot; sorry. She says he can make it up to her by helping to get them out. He says if they do get out, he’s going after Alex immediately. Anna doesn’t want that, and he says, she won’t commit to killing Alex, even after what she’s done? Anna says she’s not killing her own sister, and Valentin says maybe Anna should send her a thank you card. Be sure to tell… He says, Charlotte, and Anna says they’ll find a way. Valentin says he may have one, and makes a Hulk noise.

Lulu tells Dante, it’s not that she doesn’t appreciate a rescue, but she didn’t need a rescue. She knows how to take care of herself. He says he just wanted her know that he never stopped wanting the best for her, even if he’s not a part of it.

Epiphany and Terry go to Elizabeth’s house, and Epiphany asks, what’s in the medicine cabinet? And she’s not talking about the bathroom. Elizabeth says she’s got a nice cabernet, and Epiphany says, perfect. They can give her input after they empty the bottle. She suggests Terry use her skilled hands to open the vino, and goes to the kitchen to get glasses. Elizabeth says she heard Epiphany gave the department head such a hard time, he went in his office, locked the door, and wouldn’t come out.

Cyrus tells Portia, he knows the hospital treats all patients equally, and she says, as equal as their medical coverage will allow, since he took over. He says, if there’s such a thing as VIP treatment, make sure Jordan receives it. She tells him not to worry. She’ll make sure Jordan gets everything she needs.

Jordan tells Curtis, she passed out in front of Cyrus, or that’s how it seemed. Portia was there to treat her like they’d arranged. They staged the whole thing. They’re going to tell Cyrus she has complications from the transplant. Portia comes in, and Curtis asks if Cyrus is still out there. Portia says she sent him on his merry way, and asks if Curtis is up to speed. Curtis says he is, about his wife. Portia, not so much. Jordan says Portia suspected she was on the take, so she told Portia the truth, that Cyrus threatened to kill TJ. Portia says, now that she knows, she’s offered to help. Curtis says, so they have a new teammate. What’s the plan? Portia says Jordan needs time to regroup; doctor’s orders. Curtis says, it’s the perfect cover. They can get away from that bastard, and turn the tables on him.

Terry asks Elizabeth where her hubby is, and Elizabeth says he’s finding out about a possible commission. He’s been networking like crazy, and lining up work. He’ll be busy for another year. She asks why Terry is so quiet.

At the Floating Rib, Franco thanks Jason for meeting him. He knows he’s not Jason’s favorite person, and it’s something he’s relying on. Jason tells him, get to the point, and Franco says he likes that Jason doesn’t waste time. He’s grateful for that, since he doesn’t have time to waste. Jason asks what Franco wants, and Franco says he wants Jason to kill him.

Robert arrives at Anna’s, and asks Finn to tell him again why he’s there. Finn asks if Robert has spoken to Anna, and Robert asks, why? Finn says he hasn’t seen Anna since yesterday. They were supposed have dinner with Chase and his mom, but Anna canceled at the last minute. She said she was waiting for test results. He shows Robert the envelope, and says, according to the lab, she got the results last night. She had them when they spoke. Why would she lie? Robert asks if something is wrong with Anna, but Finn says, the tests aren’t about Anna. They’re about Peter.

Maxie excuses herself to go to the restroom – again. She leaves, and Alex tells Peter, she remembers what it was like expecting him. He says she’s never talked about that before, and she asks why he thinks that is. He says he assumed it was too painful a subject. She says, seeing him with Maxie, and about to become a parent himself, she thinks she’s made peace with that time in her life. He asks, what changed? and she says, funny he should ask.

Valentin says he can’t use his hands, and Anna says he’s still too drugged. She fiddles with the handcuffs.

Lulu tells Dante, she knows there are no guarantees in life, but she needs them. Not for herself. When he left, Charlotte still had Valentin, but Rocco lost his dad. He needs to stick around. He says, that’s the plan, but she says she needs more than a plan. Rocco needs his father. She needs a guarantee that Dante isn’t going to leave again. It would be worse than if he hadn’t come back at all. He says he’s not going anywhere, and if she ever needs anything, all she has to do is ask.

Jason says, Franco wants to be killed by him, and Franco says, trust him. It’s as big a surprise to him as it is to Jason. Jason says, don’t call him again, and starts to leave. Franco says, don’t make him beg. How many times has Jason thought about killing him? How many times has he tried? Think it over. It’s what he’s always wanted.

Terry tells Elizabeth, it’s just been a long day with patients. Epiphany says she thought they were supposed to be cheering her up, and they wanted to take her mind off her losing her man. They could bring down the mood at a funeral. Elizabeth says she thinks she knows what it is. Terry gets the bottle of wine open, and pours. Epiphany says she’ll take that transfusion.

Portia says, Jordan needs bed rest, and time off work; and no working at home while she recuperates. Curtis asks, for how long? and Portia says, there’s no time table, but don’t press his luck. Jordan says they have to look into a homicide that from 40 years ago, and Portia asks what Cyrus has to do with that. Jordan says, that’s what she’d like to know. The file has been heavily redacted. Curtis says, for some reason it’s important to Cyrus. Cyrus asks if he can come in, and says, what happened? Is Jordan okay?

Robert asks Finn what the tests prove, and Finn says, Peter has a genetic marker that Anna doesn’t have, and neither did Faison. If Peter didn’t inherit it from them, that means he got it from Alex. Robert says, making Alex Peter’s mother. No wonder Anna was on tenterhooks. Finn wonders, why lie if she had the results? and Robert says, now she’s missing. Finn asks if it can be a coincidence that Anna and Valentin wanted to lure Alex out of hiding. Robert asks what Valentin has to do with it, and Finn says, for whatever reason, Anna trusts him to help bring Alex in.

Alex tells Peter, she realizes if not for her choices and the ruthless way she pursued her career, using Faison, she wouldn’t be sitting opposite the one person who made it worthwhile. Peter says, all of it? and she says, a lot of it. He says he’s never heard her speak this way, and she says, they’ve come so far. From here on out, she’s never going leave anything unsaid between them. Moving forward, they’re stronger together than apart. He tells her that she’s saying what he’s always wanted to hear his mother say. Alex says Peter needs to assert himself; the real him. He asks how she knows that, and she says she knows him. He’s her son, and she knows him better than he knows himself.

Valentin and Anna continue to cough. Anna gets out of the cuffs, and undoes her feet. She goes around, and helps Valentin. He’s still weak, and tells her to go, but she says, stand up, and puts his arm around her. He says there’s no time, but she drags him to the door. The pressure cooker vibrates.

Anna and Valentin make it outside, just as the building blows up. Valentin says, nice job, and she asks if he’s okay. He says he’s fine.

Lulu tells Dante, she needs him to take of the kids. She can take care of herself. After he left, it was really hard. She missed him, and doubted herself. She needed him to rescue her at that moment, but he wasn’t there. He says, but Desmond was there, and she says, Dustin was wonderful to her and the kids. She can’t set that aside or ignore it because he’s back. He says he’s not asking her to, and she says, not yet. He says he’s not going to, and she asks why he’s there.

Jason says, no matter how many times Elizabeth tells him that Franco has changed, he’s still the same sick bastard he always was. Franco tells him that the tumor is back, and it’s inoperable. He doesn’t know if it will affect him the way the other one did. He doesn’t know what he’s capable of doing, and doesn’t want to find out. This is the ask. If he starts to repeat the same behavior, will Jason stop him?

Jordan insists she’s fine, but Portia says she’s not. She needs to see a specialist. Portia tells him she thinks there might be complications with the transplant. Curtis says, Jordan needs to see the doctor who did the transplant, and Cyrus asks if they’re on staff. Curtis says, they were, but they were part of Cyrus’s cost-cutting casualties. He’d like to take her to see the doctor tonight, and Portia says she’ll arrange it. They all agree Jordan should see someone familiar with her condition. Cyrus asks if there’s anything he can do in the meantime, and Curtis says he’s done enough. They’ll take it from there. Goodbye. Cyrus leaves, and Jordan sits up. She guesses this means Curtis is in.

Alex tells Peter, it’s just the two of them right now, so she can talk. She considers them to be extraordinary people. They may blend in, but their ambitions and needs are greater than what the world is capable of offering. It’s on them to shape the world. Normal and everyday doesn’t apply to them. If he trusts her, she can help him become the man he’s destined to be. Maxie comes back, and asks what she missed. Alex says they were just talking about the future, and it’s so much brighter than they ever thought possible. She touches Maxie’s baby bump, and says, isn’t that right, Peter?

Finn tells Robert, Valentin’s phone is going straight to voicemail. Robert asks if Finn thinks Anna shared the test results with Valentin, and they concocted a plan to lure Alex out. Finn says he’d like to think Anna would let him know first. Robert’s phone rings, and he says, ooh. He’s on his way. Finn asks, what’s ooh and what’s wrong? Robert says, there was a gas explosion at a warehouse, and Finn asks what he’s thinking. Robert says, a gas explosion, Valentin and Anna are both gone. Oh yeah, it’s got to be a coincidence.

Dante says he knows he gave up on his and Lulu’s life when he left, but that doesn’t mean he stopped caring. Lulu’s phone rings, and he says, Dustin? She says, yes. He’s checking see how her interview went. He says, sorry about that. He didn’t mean to mess it up. She says, it’s okay. He really was a dirtbag. Dante gets up, and says she should go. He happens to know firsthand the risk of leaving someone waiting.

Jason tells Franco, he’ll do some research. He wants to make sure Franco is telling the truth. Maybe he wants to set Jason up to go down for his murder. Franco says he’s counting on Jason being professional, and covering all the bases. He doesn’t want Elizabeth blaming Jason or feeling any pain. Jason says that’s what Franco would tell him if he was setting him up. Franco says the only thing they have in common is Elizabeth and the boys. He’s counting on Jason to do what needs to be done for them. He’s straight up begging. Please do what he’s asking.

Elizabeth says Epiphany has been blaming herself for Milo leaving for the last fifteen minutes, and Epiphany says, she practically pushed him out the door. Elizabeth says she encouraged him to follow his dream, and Epiphany says Elizabeth is right. She was supportive and encouraging, and she was there, but now he’s gone. She starts to cry, and says, at some point, Milo stopped giving the relationship attention and love and care it needed and deserved. She was too busy to notice, until she did. Terry says she knows what went wrong. Now it’s time to dry her tears, and get back out there. Epiphany says, tonight? and Terry says, when she’s ready. They toast to new beginnings, and clink glasses.

Portia says they’re all set. She’s made up an order for Jordan to visit her neurologist, and the appointment is set up, so it’s on the books. Curtis says they’d better get out of there before Cyrus sends in one of his doctors in for a consultation. Once they get out of sight, they know exactly where they’re going. Portia says, don’t mind her; she just made it possible. Curtis says, 1257 Wilson Avenue, an arts and crafts classic. He wonders who Cyrus has stashed there, that he sends them monthly payments of five or six figures. Portia asks, what about the murder? and Jordan says they’ll work on it when they’re on the plane. They’ll come back with leads, and get Cyrus on two fronts.

Alex says she has to get back to Finn, and tells Peter to take care of Maxie; Maxie is carrying her grandchild. Peter says he will. He worked hard to get the family he deserved. Alex says, that’s something they have in common. When she’s gone, Maxie asks, is it just her, or did Anna seem different? Peter says, she did.

Anna tells a fireman, there was no one else in there; just the two of them. He says paramedics are on their way, and she says she needs to talk to the DA. Robert walks in, and says, why did he know she was involved in this? Anna says, not her; Alex.

Curtis asks if Portia is sure she covered all the bases. If Cyrus finds out they played him… Portia says, everything is done on her end, but she has no control over what happens after. Jordan says, it’s great to have another ally. Trina would be proud if she knew. Portia says, she better not. She’d march up to Cyrus and do or say something to let Cyrus know they were bringing him down. She leaves, and Cyrus sees her in the hallway. He asks if everything is all set, and she says, the arrangements have all been made. She tells him, goodnight, and walks down the hall. He looks at the closed door to Jordan’s room.

Jordan says she always wanted to take Curtis to the Pacific Northwest; her old stomping grounds. This isn’t what she had in mind though. He says, it’s not ideal, but if they pull this off and bring Cyrus down, it will be the best vacation ever. He asks what they’re waiting for, and she goes into the bathroom to get dressed.

In the alleyway, Dante takes out his phone. He reads a text that says, complete the mission, which we haven’t heard in five minutes. He takes a pill and moves on.

Jason tells Franco, he’ll do what it takes to protect Elizabeth and the boys. Franco thanks him, saying he knew he count on Jason.

Elizabeth asks if Terry and Epiphany want to wait inside, but Terry says their Ride Share is only a block away; they’ll be fine. Epiphany thanks Elizabeth for the vino and the veritas. Maybe there is life after Milo. Elizabeth says she knows there will be. Outside, Epiphany asks what’s going on between Terry and Elizabeth? Terry says, shop talk, and Epiphany says, uh-huh.

Finn calls Elizabeth, and asks if Violet is still up, but she says, Violet has been down for hours. She asks if something is wrong, and he says he’ll explain when he gets there. Lock the door, and don’t open it to anyone. He’s on his way.

Robert tells a fireman to contain the fire, and Anna asks to use Robert’s phone. Robert hands it to her, and tells the fireman, the woman who lit the fire is dangerous. There might be surprises waiting inside that they don’t know about.

Finn answers the phone, saying, Robert? but Anna says, it’s her. He says, thank God, and she asks where he is. She says if he’s at the house, he needs to leave. Alex walks in, and Anna says, Finn? What’s happening? Can he hear her?

Tomorrow, Sam tells Alexis that she’s never allowing her around the kids again, Peter tells Lulu that there’s no way he can publish this, and Sonny says he’s going to have to tell Carly someone is alive.

Southern Charm

We were still at Shep’s Dumb and Dumber party. Craig has now taken Cameron’s place as narrator, but it’s not the same. Leva and husband Lamar, who reminds me of a shorter Ving Rhames, arrived, and Leva asked to speak to Kathryn in private. Leva asked why Kathryn was going after her friend, meaning Cameron, since Kathryn had told Craig gossip about Jason having an affair. Leva said Cameron had a beautiful family, and she didn’t want this happening, but Kathryn said she had a family she thought was beautiful too, and Cameron had no problem going after her. We flashed back to that on many occasions, and it wasn’t good look. In her interview, Kathryn said, what goes around comes around. Leva said if Kathryn hurts someone she cares about, Kathryn was going to have a problem with her, and she didn’t want a problem. She was letting bygones be bygones. Kathryn said, sounded good to her, but in her interview said, if it was her or Madison, they’d get on a group text about it. Shep told Craig about Madison and Peter having hooked up. Then Peter’s girlfriend Liz tried to stir the sh*t by telling Austin that Madison had a fling with Peter, and he should be careful about who he dates. It was so stupid, since it wasn’t like Peter had cheated on her with Madison. I just didn’t get it. Maybe Peter needs to be careful about who he dates. Liz seems like she has serious insecurity issues. Patricia and Whitney took off early due to lack of food. I actively looked for a chair, or seating of any kind, and saw none. Madison said something to Shep about being a d-bag for inviting Peter, and left. Shep made a speech saying his guests were the coolest in Charleston. They were the best, and he never wanted to leave because of them. Outside, Madison told Austen about Peter.

Craig had a meeting with his partners, and distribution to Wayfair and Bed, Bath, and Beyond was discussed. I’m impressed. Kathryn’s place looked like a cyclone had hit it, since she’s renovating and moving in. She wanted to get things finished as soon as possible, so she could move the kids back. Austen said he’d felt ambushed, and in his interview, he said Shep couldn’t help himself. Now everyone was talking sh*t behind his back. Shep vowed to Taylor that he wouldn’t gossip anymore. In his interview, he said new girlfriend Taylor made him a better human being. She wasn’t trying to change him, but maybe fine tune him. Austen pouted, and Madison said they’d been through enough sh*t. It was just another test of their relationship

In Danni’s interview, she was doubtful as to whether Shep’s relationship would last. She said as soon as Shep felt cornered, it was peace out. Kathryn told Danni that John kissed her, but he was legit recently divorced, so it wasn’t happening again. We found out Kathryn and Thomas hooked up a few months ago, and I wondered why she’d want to even go near him at this point. Were they drunk? Austen got together with Whitney and Craig for dinner, and Whitney said, how lucky was he, to be with the pillow and beer magnates? Austen said he had beer on tap in the highest volume bars in Charleston. He asked what he was supposed to think about Shep inviting Peter to the party, and Whitney thought Shep had a good heart. Whitney toasted to pillows and beer, and Craig thought that sounded like a sex tape.

Leva’s son’s name is Little? I can’t imagine him not being bullied for that. In Leva’s interview, she explained that she and Lamar were restauranteurs, owning Republic, Bourbon n Bubbles, and Medu; and getting ready to open a sports bar called 1st Place. They’d wanted to bring Miami and New York to Charleston, built it, and they came. She told us when she and Lamar first started dating, people stared. There weren’t many mixed race couples in town. She’d told Lamar that she didn’t know where they fit, and he said people like themselves were needed to change the social climate.

Craig, Shep, and Austen went to the gym. Shep insisted that inviting Peter and Liz wasn’t a set-up, but he was sorry. In Craig’s interview, he said he was fascinated. He’d never seen Shep apologize. Austen wanted nothing more than for everyone to act like adults. New guy John visited Patricia, and wisely brought flowers. He asked for a vodka martini, but got a lecture on the how much better gin was instead. Michael told him that gin was botanical, and vodka came from a potato in the dirt, and Patricia added that vodka was déclassé. I don’t know about that, but I don’t drink gin. I had gin once, and had a hangover for three days. In John’s interview, he said his family had been in Charleston for eight generations. He’d gone to school with Shep, and Patricia asked if Shep was wild and crazy then. John said he was an absolute lunatic. John had come back to Charleston after his divorce because San Diego wasn’t home. Charleston put him in a good headspace, and he was a better co-parent when he was in a good headspace. I rolled my eyes at the word headspace. Patricia asked what he thought about Madison, and he said she was stunning, but also with someone. Patricia said she didn’t think for long. Madison was career driven and ambitious, and her boyfriend was lackadaisical. Whitney said Austen was making an effort, but Patricia said he only had his beer in a couple of places. He wasn’t Budweiser, and Madison deserved Budweiser.

Austen set up a booth to showcase his beer at the Charleston Food and Wine Festival, which he said was the premiere springtime festival in Charleston. Craig said he liked Austen’s merch, but hated the word merch. In Craig’s interview, he said that Madison was maybe not the best for Austen’s mental health, but invaluable businesswise. Kathryn told Danni that she’d decided she was going to act like the kiss didn’t happen when she saw John. In Kathryn’s interview, she said Madison was more John’s type. An old lady came to check out the beer, and said they were pathetically good looking. Madison said the beer must be working. In Madison’s interview, she said Austen hawking his beer was super sexy. The more beer he was slinging and selling, the more she was liking it.

Shep came by, and Austen told Madison to let him handle it. She said if Shep gave her sh*t, she was going to give it back. Shep told Madison that he felt bad, and apologized. Austen said he heavily preferred that they talk about this another time. Shep said he was coming hat in hand, and Madison asked how many times they were going to do this. Austen interrupted, saying he didn’t think this was the right place, but in Shep’s interview, he said he thought it was the perfect place. When they meet someone in the Mafia, they always pick a crowded place, where no one can do anything crazy. Shep said he wanted to stay out of their relationship, and Madison told him that she wasn’t going anywhere. Shep said he didn’t want Austen to get hurt, and Austen was crazy about Madison, so if she didn’t feel the same way, let Austen know. Madison insisted she did feel the same way. Austen said this was the last place he wanted this to happen, and Madison said she and Shep were good. They never needed to have this conversation again. Then Madison guilted Shep into buying a hat. In his interview, Shep said it was like the cold war between Russia and the United States. We have our rockets pointed at you, just so you know, but we don’t want a war. In Madison’s interview, she said she got off on the fact that she owned any conversation she had with Shep. She and Austen kissed.

Next time, Austen and Craig get on each other’s nerves, Austen asks if Shep and Taylor are an actual couple, Leva has a ladies lunch in her Persian palace, and Kathryn tells Danni about Thomas getting someone else pregnant.

👀 On Watch What Happens Live, Craig and Shep were both guests. Andy is usually so stylish, but tonight he was wearing a sweater that was no, just no. It looked like a mohair turtleneck, but what it mostly looked like was bad. It was not his color (a pinkish shade of red) and it made him look fat. Maybe he got fat and he was trying to hide it with the sweater, but if so, it didn’t work. Whatever reason he had for choosing it, it didn’t work. Craig said he’d run into Naomie and Metul at the airport sky lounge, and they chatted for an hour, which made me miss Naomie and Metul.

🐶 A Peachy Pup…

I was worried that maybe Chauncy had passed away, but apparently, new pup Peaches is obsessed with him.

⌨️ Puter Pita…

AOL is giving me grief tonight, so I’m off to fight with it. No matter how your technology is treating you, stay safe, stay buoyant, and stay knowing you deserve Budweiser.

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

✍🏽 Since I’m attending a 3-day virtual business conference, I wasn’t able to see GH at its regular time. It’s slightly condensed, because I need that pesky sleep, but I’ll be back to my regularly scheduled excruciatingly long transcripts on Sunday night.

General Hospital

Julian wants Ava to call him if she hears from their friend in Pentenville (i.e. Ryan). Sam tries to get nosy about it, but Julian blows her off, asking if there’s something he can help with. She says, it’s her mom.

Alexis is busy getting drunk at the MetroCourt bar.

Josslyn tells Dev that she’s going to talk to Cameron face-to-face, since he’s been ignoring her calls and DMs.

Trina shows up at Kelly’s while Cameron is working. She says they haven’t hung out in a while, and wonders, what’s up?

Jax sees Curtis at the MetroCourt with Jordan, and says he heard Nina hired him to help find her child. Curtis asks if it was Nina’s idea, or Jax’s.

Carly shows up at Nelle’s gravesite, and Nina says, wrong turn? but Carly says she’s right where she’s supposed to be.

Cameron tells Trina that he’s been busy with work, but she doesn’t buy it. He flashes back to when Dev showed him Josslyn’s journal, where Dev faked Josslyn’s writing, saying she didn’t like Cameron kissing her. Trina asks if he’s too busy to help her clear her father’s name, but he says, of course (🍷) not. She says the injustice of Cyrus walking around while her dad’s name got trashed is making her crazy. Cameron tells her not to worry; they’ll fix it. Trina thinks they should find out why Taggert came back to Port Charles in the first place, and Cameron suggests looking at his old reports. She says she’ll pretend she’s looking for mementos in his stuff. There’s no way her dad would set anyone up. He was a good cop. Cameron says he knows, and they’ll make sure everyone else does too.

Jordan excuses herself to let Curtis and Jax talk. Curtis walks, and Jax follows him. Jax says he senses mistrust on Curtis’s part, and Curtis says he doesn’t want to see Nina get hurt. Jax says, that makes two of them. Curtis asks if Jax is manipulating Nina the way Valentin did, and Jax says, absolutely not. He’s just there for support, but he appreciates Curtis looking out for her. Curtis says he was going to say the same about Jax.

Nina asks if Carly is going to create a problem. She made sure Nelle’s grave wasn’t near Mike and Morgan. Carly says she’s not going to cause trouble, and Nina asks why she can’t let Nelle go.

Sam tells Julian that Alexis is drinking again. She thinks it started after Neil died. Julian asks if she’s sure, and Sam tells him about Alexis drinking right in front of her, saying, Alexis almost seemed defiant. He says he’ll do what he can to help.

Jax tells Curtis, Nina knows they might hit a dead end, and Curtis says, or maybe there was never a baby in the first place. Jax says, Nina’s intuition tells her that her child is out there somewhere, and Curtis prays that’s true. Jax says, but he’s worried about Nina if it isn’t, and Curtis asks, isn’t Jax?

Carly tells Nina that she can’t wait for the day Nelle isn’t even a factor, and Nina says, apparently, that’s not today. Carly says she doesn’t know why she’s there, and Nina asks if she’s okay. Carly says she will be, and Nina asks if it’s possible to forget about Nelle completely, when she’s the mother of Carly’s grandson?

Trina tells Cameron that she needs their help; there’s strength in numbers. She says she knows him well enough to know he’s holding back. He says he wants to help her, and so does Josslyn, but he’s afraid he’ll mess things up. She asks, how? and he says, by having feelings for her. Possibly more than friends feelings. He feels like a jerk, since he feels the same about Josslyn. Trina says it’s her fault for sending mixed signals. She’s confused about her feelings too.

Josslyn tells Dev that she and Cameron haven’t talked since they kissed, and Cameron also kissed Trina. She doesn’t want to mess things up for them. Dev says, if Cameron is avoiding her, she has her answer.

Britt orders a drink at the bar, and Alexis says, the more, the merrier. She suggests Britt switch to vodka, but Britt says she has a meeting. Alexis says she remembers those. Britt asks if there’s someone she can call, and Alexis says, a dating service. Her last boyfriend died, and she’s looking for a new one.

Sam tells Julian, she’ll handle her mother on her own, when Cyrus walks in. Cyrus says he wants to purchase the bar, and believes Julian will find his offer impossible to turn down.

Britt asks how many Alexis has had, and Alexis asks if she’s reporting to Julian. Britt says no, and Alexis says Britt just sleeps with him. Britt says, not anymore, and for the record, she had zero idea that Alexis and Neil were a secret. Alexis says, so Britt didn’t actively try to destroy her life; she appreciates the distinction. Britt says, even though Alexis is hammered, she could take it down a notch. Jordan comes in, and asks if Britt has a minute. Britt says, lead the way, and tells Alexis, it’s been a pleasure.

Jordan tells Britt, law enforcement and public health go hand in hand. She had a collaborative relationship with Britt’s predecessor, and is hoping to carry it forward. Britt is in agreement, and asks how GH can help the PCPD. Jordan says, off the top of her head, combating child abuse, domestic violence, and of course (🍷) drug abuse.

Sam says she’d love to hear about Cyrus and Julian’s business together, but Julian says, there isn’t any. Cyrus says, there could be, and Julian should jump at the chance. Molly calls Sam, who steps away. Julian is miffed that Cyrus brought his proposal up in front of Sam, and Cyrus says he’s had ample time to consider it. He asks if it’s the size of the offer that’s the problem, but Julian says, it’s everything. He’s not parting with the pub. Cyrus suggests keeping him on as manager. He’d have the windfall of the sale, plus revenue from the job. Think of it as the evolution of the partnership they already have. The one that formed when he provided Julian with an alibi.

Jax says he doesn’t want to see Nina get her heart broken again, but it’s what she wants. Curtis says they know Nina won’t take no for an answer when she wants something. Jax says, she’s spent so much of her life wondering; he thinks she’s ready for an answer. Curtis says, even if the answer isn’t what she wants? and Jax says, yes. Curtis says Nina is going to need Jax if that’s the case. Jax says she’ll need Curtis too, and they agree to be there for her.

Nina tells Carly, Nelle is Wiley’s mother. One day he’s going to grow up, and want a headstone to visit. Nelle was a human being before her life unraveled. She’s not minimizing the horrible things Nelle did, but Nelle is dead now. Help her rest in peace. Carly says, Nina sentimentalizing a nightmare doesn’t make it less of one, and it’s going to be hard when Wiley finds out his mother was disturbed and killed people. Would it serve him better believing a lie? Nina says, there has to be middle ground, but Carly says, there isn’t when it comes to Nelle. She slit Brook’s throat and kidnapped Wiley. Carly thinks it’s all about Nina. She’s projecting. Nina did some bad things, and turned her life around, and she thinks Nelle could have too if someone had stepped in. Carly tried. Nina was nowhere near as toxic as Nelle on her worst day. Nelle couldn’t have been saved. Nina says, Nelle is dead. Carly won. Why can’t that be enough? She leaves, and Carly tells Nelle’s headstone she doesn’t know why she’s there. She doesn’t know why Nelle still matters. Why can’t she let Nelle go? A Carrie hand comes out of the ground, and Carly struggles with it, knocking over the gravestone. Nina comes back, and looks at Carly.

Julian says he didn’t ask for Cyrus’s help, and Cyrus says, Julian can’t deny he needed it. Be grateful. If Cyrus hadn’t stepped in, the police might have found out what led to Martin’s mugging. Julian says he doesn’t know anything about it, and Cyrus says, of course (🍷) not. Martin probably made many enemies, just representing Nelle. Perhaps as many as Julian made when he married her. He might want to think twice about rejecting a hand extended in friendship.

Sam tells Molly, mom has been off lately, and suggests they meet later.

Jax sees Alexis at the bar, and she says, this is what it looks like. Don’t sound the alarm; Sam already knows. Does he want to join her? For a drink, not a pity party, and not an intervention. Just sharing a drink with a friend. Some people don’t like to drink alone. She’s not one of them.

Britt says her boss has brought up drugs as well. It’s of interest, given the nature of his false imprisonment. Cyrus was deeply moved by the recovering addicts he encountered in the system. He wants to find a way to break the cycle. Jordan says, very admirable. Britt sees Jax, and says, her meeting is here. She tells Jordan that she looks forward to working with her.

Jordan joins Curtis. He asks if she’s wondering the same thing he is, and she says, why is Britt with Jax? He says, exactly.

Britt and Jax sit in one of the side alcoves, and Britt says her mother is obsessed with him. He asks how Obrecht is, she says they haven’t spoken since the WSB picked Obrecht up. She was hoping her mother had cleaned up her act, but not so much. He congratulates her on her new job, and assumes that’s why she wanted to meet. She says she needs money.

Dev says Josslyn and Cameron have been friends most of their lives, and Cameron has been ghosting her since they kissed. Dev doesn’t want to see her hurt, but doesn’t think Cameron’s that into her. Josslyn asks if they shouldn’t talk about it, and he says they can, but he doesn’t think Cameron is comfortable with it. Then there’s the whole Trina thing. She wants them to get together to help her clear her dad’s name, and Josslyn wouldn’t want things to be awkward between her and Cameron.

Trina says she might have feelings for Cameron too, and he wonders why things have to be confusing. She says, because feelings are messy. They change from day to day, minute to minute sometimes. Cameron says, it’s like going through a maze. You think you know where you’re going, then you’re lost. Trina says, the past few months felt like that. She thought about their kiss a lot. He says so did he, and she says, it doesn’t make sense. They were both messed up. She doesn’t know if the kiss was good or bad. He asks what they do, and she says, this, and kisses him.

Julian says, sounds like a threat. Go ahead. Cyrus says he’s merely reminding Julian that he did him a good turn, and could continue to. When it comes to secrets, he’s the exception to the rule that says, two people can only keep a secret if one of them is dead. He walks out, and passes Sam. She stares at Julian.

Trian says, wow, and Cameron says, wow good, or wow bad? She says, wow as in he’s an awesome friend, and that’s where they’re supposed to be. He says, she’s friendzoning him? He should be offended. She says he’s more sensitive than he gives himself credit for, and he says, don’t tell anyone. It will ruin his rep. She says she thinks he was picking up on how she thought she might have feelings for him, going back to their Niagara Falls trip. She didn’t want to go there, since he was in love with Josslyn. He tells her, nobody said anything about love, and she says she was creating a situation, when in reality there was none. The feelings she has for him are friendship. He says, what about him? She says if he wants to crush on her for the rest of his life, go ahead. He says, what about Josslyn? and she says, that’s for him and Josslyn to decide. He says he just wants everything to go back to normal. It’s their senior year. Before they know it, it will be mid-winter formal. She says she can’t wait to go to the dance with someone she really wants to kiss. He says, speak for herself. This last year has been tricky. He’s taking a break from relationship drama. She asks, for how long?

Nina asks, what happened? and Carly says she tripped. She was saying her piece, and lost her footing, and tripped. Nina says, and in the process, she accidently knocked over the gravestone? She couldn’t just leave this alone.

Jordan tells Curtis that she talked to Britt. She was feeling Britt out. Seeing if she’s worth it as a means to get to Cyrus. He asks what she thinks.

Jax asks Britt what the money will be used for, and she says she’s developing a new research program. Hopefully, it will return GH to it’s rightful place as a top medical institution. He says, it’s ambitious, and she says, it’s expensive. The recent legal issues tainted both the hospital’s reputation and finances. She needs his help. He asks, why not hit up her boss? Cyrus already bought his way onto the Board. She says, he’s already making a substantial contribution, and Jax says, that’s not enough? She says, not to sustain project, and from her understanding, he and the hospital go way back. He says, so did he and Monica. Britt says she’s channeling her inner Monica, and wants to restore the hospital back to its former glory. She understands he’s hugely respected. He says, he’s told Cyrus calls the shots now – literally – and she says, that’s out of her control. He says, he understands business is business, and sometimes you have to work with people you don’t care for, but Cyrus is in a whole other category. He was hoping Cyrus was deceiving her somehow, but she knows who Cyrus is, and it doesn’t bother her. It’s her prerogative, but he doesn’t do business with people like that. She says, that’s it? and he says, sorry. As long Cyrus is in charge, the Bank of Jax is closed. She says, interesting, his lofty standards, given who is brother is. She thought they’d be sympatico; the daughter of Faison and Obrecht, and the brother of Jerry Jax. Still, he judges the rest of them. He says he separated from his brother years ago. She says, keep telling yourself that. Jax’s phone rings.

Nina asks Jax to come to the cemetery. His ex-wife is having a moment.

Trina visits Josslyn, and says she talked to Cameron. He’s going help with her dad. Josslyn asks if Cameron is all good with them working together as a group, and Trina tells her, he said the important thing was, they all remain friends. He said he’s spending senior year free of relationship drama, and making no commitments. Joss says, sounds good to her. The less time they spend on drama, the more time they can focus on clearing Taggert’s name.

Dev sits with Cameron at the counter in Kelly’s. He says he’s checking in to see how Cameron is doing after what Josslyn said. Cameron says, those things were private, and Dev says if Cameron wants to tell Josslyn that he found the journal, go head. Cameron says he doesn’t want her to know he knows. She’ll make excuses that she didn’t mean it.

Jordan tells Curtis, Britt said Cyrus was all about using GH’s resources to combat drug abuse. He asks if Britt is in on it with Cyrus, or looking the other way, but she doesn’t know. She says, Cyrus didn’t sink his money into the hospital to become a patron saint. He’s got something else in mind. Curtis says, and he’s arrogant enough to think he can get away with it.

Britt calls Cyrus, and says she met with Jax. He asks if she secured the financial backing, but she says, not exactly.

Julian leaves a message that he needs help. He needs someone to disappear. Sam tells Julian, his meeting with Cyrus confirms what she’s known all along. He says, forget Cyrus. He wants to get back to her mom, but she says, after what she witnessed, leave her mother the hell alone. He says, in some way, her mother trusts him, and Sam says, look where it got her. Now he’s cozying up to Cyrus. Leave her mother alone, and if she comes in, don’t serve her. He says he’d never serve Alexis alcohol, but Sam says, the list of things he’d never do gets smaller every day. She walks out.

Alexis continues to drink. She says, one more. She’s got nowhere to be.

Carly tells Nina, she’ll pay to have it set. Jax arrives, and asks, what happened? Carly tells Nina, she said it was an accident. Nina tells him, Carly said she tripped. Carly doesn’t know why Nina called him, and Jax says, because she was worried. Carly says she’s fine, and Nina says, is she? She’s going, and hopes Jax has more luck with Carly than she did. She leaves, and Jax wants to know what’s going on. Carly says, it’s nothing. It’s nothing that needs to be discussed. It’s over and done with. She looks at the gravestone, and the leaves move. Presumably, it’s the wind.

On Monday, Alexis says Robert is the reason she’s an alcoholic, Dante thinks Maxie is making a mistake, and Sam wonders why Jason didn’t say anything to her.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Today’s GH Flashback comes straight from May 11th, 2020. Here’s the scaled down version, but for the full effect, go to:

https://tvwiththeresa.wordpress.com/2020/05/12/may-11-2020-michael-pops-the-partnership-a-charter-with-meaning-date-for-deck-some-new-crew-tour-the-boat-reading-harry-a-legend-leaves-us-mia-a-queens-visit-shake-on/

At the PCPD, Brook asked Chase for another call. He said she only got one, but he was curious to see who would help her, since her father wouldn’t. Nelle went to Charlie’s, and Julian told her they were closed. She said she’d come to make him a generous offer from the heart. Diane met with Michael and Willow at the Quartermaine mansion, and made them repeat after her that they wouldn’t let Nelle bait them in court. She told them, let Nelle roll out her manipulation and histrionics while they remained calm. She knew Michael would be the loving, committed, stalwart presence he always was, but she’d seen Willow give way to anger at Shiloh in the courtroom. This would be just as bad, if not worse. Willow said she was ready, and Diane said Willow and Michael made an excellent team. They knew Wiley well, and Nelle was practically a stranger. Michael was worried that would support Nelle’s argument, but Diane said it was crucial Wiley stayed with people he loved and trusted. They’d already proven they would do whatever it took. Nelle told Julian, they had their differences, but they were both victims of Brad. Brad had left her unconscious by the side of the road, switching her baby with the one who died. Julian asked if she expected him to believe Brad could pull one over on her, and she said she wanted to offer him a spot in her son’s life. On one condition.

Brook’s call to Dustin went to voicemail, and Brook accused Chase of falsely arresting her because he didn’t like her calling him out for betraying his girlfriend. If he was decent, he’d let her go; she wasn’t a lying jerk like him. Chase remembered Willow discovering him and Sasha making out, and said Brook was right. She was right about him and everything, but she’d still broken the law. She needed to find someone to get her out, or she would spend the night in custody. Either way, he didn’t give a damn. Diane said no one had shown they were more willing to make sacrifices for Wiley than Willow, and it was documented that she’d put Wiley’s needs first. That was gold. Diane left, and Michael asked if she’d heard that – she was gold. Nelle told Julian that she wanted him to testify on her behalf at the custody hearing, and say she’s a wonderful mother. Julian asked if she wanted him to lie, but she said he’d be telling truth. Wiley would be better off with her than Michael, who wasn’t Julian’s favorite person anyway. Julian said she was the same mother who left Wiley’s father to die, but she said she was under stress. Michael had been threatening to take her kid, and her hormones were raging. He said he wasn’t helping her, but she told him that he would, if he wanted to stay in Wiley’s life. She’d even let Wiley call him grandpa again. Julian said Nelle wanted to barter time with Wiley for his personal endorsement, and she insisted it was a generous offer. When she got sole custody, Wiley was never going to see a Corinthos or Quartermaine again. Julian said he couldn’t imagine Sonny would be happy, and Nelle said, Sonny and Carly would suffer more. She and Julian were on the same page. Julian said they weren’t even in the same book. He cared what happened to Wiley, and thought Wiley was better off with his father than a heartless monster who used her son as a weapon.

Julian’s phone rang, and at first, he told the caller, absolutely not. Then he said, on second thought, he’d be right there. He told the bartender that he had to leave for a while, and not to serve Nelle. She was done there. After Julian left, Chase came in to think some more about Willow, but Nelle interrupted his reverie, saying he looked like he could use a drink and some company. He said, no thank you. Willow remembered finding Chase and Sasha together, and telling Chase, in a million years, she never thought something like this would happen. She thought he’d love her forever, but she didn’t know him. Michael told Willow, they could have a partnership that worked. Willow wanted to be up front, and said she still loved Chase; she probably always would. She wondered if Michael could marry a woman who would probably never be in love with him, and he said if they raised Wiley in a committed family, who loved and supported each other, it was all he could ask for. He warned her that she’d be marrying into two powerful families, with unique traditions, customs, and secrets. It was like joining a club you couldn’t resign from, and her life would be very different. Julian showed up at the PCPD, and paid Brook’s bail.

Michael said Willow may not love him romantically, but he valued their friendship. He flashed back to him and Willow becoming friends and helping take care of Wiley together. Michael said he could trust her, and rely on her honesty, and she said she relied on his integrity. Nelle wanted to buy Chase a drink, but he said he didn’t have time. She said she figured there was no hot teacher waiting for him at home, and maybe she’d give him another chance. One or both of them flashed back to when she’d seduced Chase in Florida, and Chase asked how she could be more delusional. He thought she would have hit the threshold by now. She said she always got what she wanted, whether it was Wiley or him, and anyone who underestimated her was wrong. He walked out, and Nelle went in the back, presumably where the restrooms are. Where the bartender went, who knows? Not a very reliable employee.

Finn called Chase, who was at Pier 55. He said, apparently, Chase hadn’t taken his advice, but Chase said he wasn’t in the mood for a lecture. Finn asked, how about a beer? and Chase told him, another time. Julian took Brook back to Charlie’s, and wondered why he’d been her first call. She said he wasn’t, but she got tired of reaching out and hearing, I told you so. He asked if that included Ted. She was puzzled, and he said that’s what he called her father. She should call him that too; he loved it. She said Ned was her first I told you so, and Julian asked why she thought he would get her out. She said because she had leverage, and he said it had been a good excuse to get out of a bad conversation. Chase stood on the pier and thought about meeting Willow, and how their relationship had developed, which is about all he seemed capable of doing at this point. This was around the time we were getting episodes made nearly entirely of flashbacks

Finn met Chase at the pier, and said he thought The Rib had more ambiance. Chase said it was perfect, and Finn said, sure it was. The smell of fish and… whatever it is. Chase said Willow was gone because he’d wanted her to go, and knowing it was right didn’t make it hurt any less. Finn said, believe him, he knew. Willow said she knew Michael would always be straight with her and treat her with respect. Michael said he loved everything about Wiley, but especially the way he smiled at Willow. He recalled introducing Wiley to Willow, and other times the three of them had been together. Chase apologized to Finn for being a jerk, and Finn said Willow probably thought it was a family trait. When he’d seen her, he thought Chase had told her the truth, and they talked at cross purposes. She probably thought he was okay with Chase cheating. Why hadn’t Chase told her it was staged? Chase said, it would have been selfish. It was about what was right for Willow and Michael, and especially Wiley. It would be worth it if Nelle didn’t get custody. Finn asked what he could do, and Chase said, not a damn thing. He toasted to Willow, the woman he would always love. He said he knew she couldn’t have been happy with him if Wiley was suffering or hurting, and this was how he showed his love. By drinking beer?

Brook told Julian, if he’d turned her down, she would have had to call his bluff and talk to Sonny. It would have broken Lucas’s heart, and he’d been through enough. They made a toast to Lucas, and Brook said if Julian accommodated the occasional favor, she wouldn’t have to say he’d tampered with Brad’s car and caused the accident. No surprise, Nelle listened in. On the pier, Chase reminisced about meeting Willow, saying he could tell there was something rare and strong about her. He told Finn, people must have thought he was trying to rescue her, but she didn’t need rescuing; she was fierce in her quiet way. It took her a long time to love him, but he was a goner in the first ten seconds. Part of him couldn’t believe they wouldn’t still have a lifetime together. He thanked Finn for respecting his decision, even if Finn didn’t agree with it. Finn said Chase was a well-intentioned idiot, but love had a way of making fools of all of them. Chase wanted to be alone, and Finn told him to call anytime.

Michael said Wiley loved Willow, and knew she loved him. It would still be a marriage based on love; their love as friends, and mutual love for Wiley. Willow thought about good times with Chase; saying I love you, and moving in together. Willow said it wasn’t the marriage she’d imagined, and Michael said, him neither, but he had faith they could make it work. If she didn’t want to, no harm no foul. Willow said Wiley deserved a safe and happy future with parents who loved and cared for him, and cared about each other. She wanted to be a part of it, so her answer was yes. She would marry him.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

When we last left, everyone was at Kyle’s Black and White Gala, and Teddi said Camille didn’t have to go through pleasantries with her. She knew Camille didn’t like her.

Sutton yaps at Kris Jenner about the Met Gala. Teddi says Camille isn’t genuine, and can just wave and keep it moving. In Camille’s interview, she says she was trying to apologize and be nice, and again Teddi is being a bitch. Camille says Denise was rough on her at the reunion; she felt like Denise was gaslighting her. We flash back to that, and Denise says she was genuinely concerned. Camille tells Denise that she was in a lot of pain, and tells Teddi, time heals. Denise says she’s more forgiving than Teddi, and Camille says, it’s okay; Teddi needs time. Garcelle tells Erika that she’s going to miss Erika’s Shoe Dazzle event because she has to work. Denise asks Teddi where she wants to go from here, and Teddi says she wants Denise to tell her if something is bothering her. In Teddi’s interview, she says she doesn’t have a problem with Denise, but she has a huge problem with Aaron. She has fun with Denise, and wants to move on.

Brandi calls out, Hurricane Kim! and Kyle’s sister comes over to say hello. Camille thanks Kyle for inviting her. In Camille’s interview, she says she came in wanting to resolve things. She’s gone through a lot with the women, but feels good, like she can move on. She doesn’t know about the others, but thinks at some point, they have to put the past in the past.

Denise says hello to Garcelle and new boyfriend chocolate Michael. In Garcelle’s interview, she says it’s important to support one another. She’s been in situations where she had to fend for herself against a group attack. But she was in middle school. Preach it!  In Kyle’s interview, she says, a charity event has to be fun and exciting, so people will come and want to spend money. When she was planning the event, the first person who came to mind was friend Carney Wilson. Kyle introduces Wilson Phillips, and they put on a mini concert. In Dorit’s interview, she says, a surprise concert; what a great idea. We go back to Dorit unveiling Boy George at her party. Everyone bounces to the music, and sings along to Hold On.

Denise, Aaron, Brandi, Adrienne, and whoever Adrienne is seeing, hang out at a small bar in Kyle’s house. Pounding back drinks, Brandi says she’s good, but in Denise’s interview, she says, tomorrow, Brandi won’t feel good. Brandi babbles about babies, and in Brandi’s interview, she says she had told everyone that Adrienne had used a surrogate, and Adrienne called her a liar. Still, Adrienne was always lovely to her, even though she’d never given Adrienne a proper apology. Brandi tells Adrienne that she’s sorry; it wasn’t her idea (of course not). For Adrienne to forgive her was something she needed. She didn’t know if could do the same if she was in Adrienne’s shoes. Kathy tells Kyle that the party couldn’t have been better. Brandi says she likes that Denise and Aaron are co-dependent-ish, and wants to be a throuple. In her interview, Denise asks the producer what throuple means. Brandi babbles about Denise’s vagina. In her interview, Denise says Aaron is giving her the let’s-get-TF-out-of-here look. Denise tells Aaron, time to head out, and he says he’s taking his drink with him. Brandi stumbles around the dance floor, and Kim says she needs coffee. In Kyle’s interview, she says, it’s no secret Brandi likes to party, but tonight, Brandi has taken hot mess to another level. Brandi she gets up on the stage, and promptly falls down.

Garcelle struggles to open a box of glassware. She asks Michael for help, and he slides the box open. She says he makes it look easy, and all the glasses fall out. opens box looks easy everything falls out. I make a noise. Dorit talks to her contractor, while Jagger and Phoenix cause a commotion, LisaR picks out a wig, and tells her makeup guy that she wants to transform into a sex bomb. She thinks she was born a drag queen. Erika makes sure everything is ready for her Shoe Dazzle launch party, while Mikey follows her around. In Erika’s interview, she says when you get something, you always want more; then you want more. She went from moving to New York, to dancing in the club, to marrying Tom, to Erika Jayne to Broadway. There are no limits.

The women arrive, and at first, no one knows who LisaR is in her wig. Erika thanks them for coming, and a cake is brought out with a giant shoe on it. Erika screams when she sees it. She thanks everyone for letting her be her. LisaR tells the group that she wants get away for week and have a good time before Erika leaves for Broadway. She’s arranged something in Rome. Dorit shows off her Italian, and Kyle thinks they should invite the Pope to hang out with them. We flash back to the women discussing various sex topics. On the side, Denise tells Erika, she knows there was noise about her walking away from conversations, but just because she’s an open person doesn’t mean she has no boundaries with her children. Erika says, when Aaron is invited, it becomes something else, and Denise says she’ll get to that. She just wants to clear the air. In Erika’s interview, she says, it’s difficult to have a conversation with Denise when, if she doesn’t like what she’s hearing, she shuts it down or leaves. I didn’t consider Denise saying to wait a moment shutting it down, but okay. Denise says she doesn’t want it to be awkward on the trip. She likes Erika and has a lot of respect for her. They have fun together. In her interview, Erika says she likes Denise, but it takes work be good friend, and requires wanting to be a friend and communicate. LisaR says the only Italian she knows is pizza and pasta. Erika says LisaR is definitely American.

Garcelle and Sutton meet at Gray Tavern. Garcelle asks about Erika’s party, and Sutton says it was nice, but they missed her. In Garcelle’s interview, she says her work schedule stops her from having a social life. She’s doing Coming to America and two TV shows. She’s a single mother, and mama got to work. She tells Sutton that she got a by-the-way text about going to Rome. She and Sutton talk hair, and Sutton says her kitchen is hot. In Garcelle’s interview, she explains, kitchen to a Black person means the back of the neck. It ups Sutton’s cool factor that she knew that. Garcelle says she was brought up not to talk money, but how did Sutton get hers? In Sutton’s interview, she says she’s Southern and doesn’t like talking about money. Garcelle asks if Sutton inherited it, married into it, or was born with it. Sutton said when she was married to her ex-husband, he did well. In her interview, Garcelle says she can rub people the wrong way because she’s blunt, but if you don’t ask deep questions, you can’t get to know someone. She didn’t ask for Sutton’s bank balance. Although she’d love to know. Sutton says she’s known her ex since she was thirteen, and they married when she was seventeen. Garcelle asks if he took her virginity, and Sutton asks why Garcelle wants to go there. Garcelle says, that’s who she is, and Sutton says she’s not answering that one.

Kyle’s daughter Alexia goes to see Amelia. In LisaR’s interview, she says, New York didn’t go as planned. Amelia came home, and is now in a safe place, with family and friends close by. Alexia is working in real estate, and LisaR asks how she likes the job. Alexis says she’s blessed to have it, but it’s a long process to learn everything she needs to know. In her interview, LisaR says, it’s not a vacation. Amelia needs to get an apartment and go to school in order to move forward. Amelia talks area and security with Alexia, and says her mood is easily changed by her surroundings. In LisaR’s interview, she says her first apartment was so gross. She lived in a place with 900 units, and they had roaches. She was lucky to have a door that locked. She had no help financially, and thinks that was a driving force in getting what she wanted. She believes helping Amelia with a thousand dollars a month is fair. The rest is on Amelia. Amelia lists the million things she needs, and says rats will kill her vibe. In her interview, LisaR says, look at the monsters she created.

Assistant Celene helps Teddi with packing. Jordan helps Sutton, but he’s distracted by her clothing, oohing and ahhing over various pieces. He doesn’t know if he’s helping or shopping. Laia helps Erika. Everyone has closets the size of my house. Erika puts a wig on her dog Tiago, and we all laugh. Teddi visits Kyle who says she’s finishing packing. Everything is a mess, with clothing everywhere, including the floor. Kyle says they need to get invites out for Teddi’s baby shower. In her interview, she says she’s been busy organizing her children’s hospital event and Italy. Teddi is ready to pop, and she hasn’t had time to plan. She asks where Teddi wants to have it, and Teddi says, whatever’s easiest. In her interview, Teddi says, nothing gives her more peace than not having to invite the women to anything. We revisit Teddi telling everyone that she didn’t care if they came to her retreat or now. Kyle asks if Teddi likes games. Teddi says she does, but she’d rather cut her face off than watch people unwrap gifts. Kyle says they’re definitely doing that then. Yep. Showers are only fun if they’re yours. Kim comes by with some clothes for Kyle, and says she’s taking Brandi to dinner for her birthday; she’s in the car. Kyle tells Kim to invite her in. In Kyle’s interview, she says, Kim and Brandi have a unique friendship. They were enemies before, then became close, and now genuinely have a good friendship. Kim goes out to the car and asks if Brandi wants to come in; they’re talking about Teddi’s shower. In her interview, Kyle says Kim was friends with Brandi when she and Brandi were in a bad place. We flash back to that, and Kyle says, but she was always happy knowing Brandi was being a good friend to Kim. They’ve come a long way since the slut/pig days. Kim says she got her biopsy results back, and everything is perfect.

Brandi asks why they’re going to Rome, and Kyle explains that Erika is leaving for four months. She adds, there’s been stuff going on in the group, like usual, and tells Brandi about Denise, and how she didn’t like the threesome conversation around her kids. Brandi says, Charlie Sheen is their father, like this should make a difference. Teddi says, Denise called her a sh*t stirrer, and Kyle says Denise runs from the truth. She has feelings, but doesn’t want to say them. Kim says, she did something to Brandi… Brandi says, she and Denise are friends, then amends it, saying she doesn’t know what they are. But the women need to be careful; Denise isn’t who she pretends to be. What you see is not what you get. Now that the cork has been pulled, Brandi says Denise doesn’t like Teddi at all, and has said horrible things about her, that she’s obnoxious and will do anything to be in the group because she’s lived in her dad’s shadow her whole life. In Teddi’s interview, she says she gave Denise the opportunity to come clean, and we flash back to five minutes ago. Brandi says Denise doesn’t like Erika either. She plays cool and laid back, but she’s not. Brandi tells them, she feels that Denise tells her things because Denise has something on her. Kyle talks in Spanish on the phone, and asks the housekeeper to bring some wine upstairs. In Kyle’s interview, she says she’s never seen Brandi upset like this. Spill it. Kim tells Brandi, Denise isn’t her friend. Brandi says when they met, she and Denise hit it off. She thought Denise was the coolest chick, but some sh*t went down, and it got effed up. Kyle asks what the story is, and Brandi says Teddi knows how she feels about cheating. They did a podcast together about it. We see a clip of that, and Brandi says she was broken for so long. In Brandi’s interview, she says, when she was married and was cheated on, it destroyed her. We flashed back to Brandi talking about Eddie and LeAnn Rimes. In her interview, she says she would never do that to another woman. She tells the group that she had a friend who was dating a married man, and she had to stop talking to her. Denise put her in a situation where she was the cheater. The wine arrives, and Kim sits next to Brandi, taking her hand. I gag a little. Brandi says she knew Denise and Aaron had an understanding. Aaron told Denise that she could be with girls if she wanted; just no men. The night they met, she went out with Denise and Aaron for dinner. They clicked, got completely wasted, and she and Denise went to the restroom and made out. This was before Denise and Aaron were married. That April, Denise invited Brandi come and do her podcast from Denise’s set. She said Brandi could stay in her room with Aaron; they’d get a rollaway bed, and Denise’s middle daughter would be there with a friend as well. In Brandi’s interview, she says, Denise’s daughter was sleeping downstairs. There was no rollaway bed, so she slept in the bed with Denise. Brandi tells the women, the second night, they got drunk. They were effed up, and kind of hooked up. Teddi says, like kiss? and Brandi says, like everything. Don’t judge her. Kyle says she’s just shocked. Brandi says she was uncomfortable; it was a loft with no door, and she couldn’t get into it. Then Denise said, don’t tell Aaron, or he would kill her. In her interview, Brandi says, in a moment, she was everything she’d always hated. She’d never be a cheater and not be loyal. She never would have slept with Denise if she’d thought Aaron wasn’t okay with it, and there had been no question in her mind that he was. Afterwards, it was like she never existed. Occasionally, Denise would text, and she stayed in touch to make sure things were kosher. Denise made her believe she did something wrong. She had a breakdown and told Kim about it; she felt horrible. Kim says Denise called the night before the charity event, and asked if Brandi had told anyone. Brandi says she’d wanted it to be a calm night, and now Denise was calling her and telling her sh*t about them. Teddi says Denise was trying to make Brandi feel like they were close. Kyle says Denise was scared, and Brandi tells them, Denise said she would never spill her secrets. It was like a threat. Kyle tells Brandi not to beat herself up about it, and Kim says she’s taking Brandi to a meditation sound bath. In Kyle’s interview, she says Brandi can be mean and a bitch, but she doesn’t believe Brandi is a liar. I do, and I think the truth is probably somewhere in the middle, as it usually is. Kyle says she’s realizing none of them know Denise.

Kim says it’s hard for Brandi to talk about, but they need to know what they’re dealing with. Kyle doesn’t know what to say. On the way back to the car, Kim tells Brandi that she should talk to someone. By that, I assume she means a therapist, and I definitely agree with that. Brandi needs some heavy duty therapy. I’m not even saying it might not have happened, but this girl is messed up, and has been the entire time she’s been on this show. Teddi wonders how she’s going to look at a chick who hates her. She’s going on an effing trip with her. Teddi suddenly looks like she has a headache.

Eighteen hours later, the women are in Rome, except for Denise and Garcelle, who are still in a car on the way to the airport. Garcelle says, it’s probably for the best. On the way to the hotel, Teddi says she needs to have an awkward conversation with LisaR. Denise has been saying negative things about her, LisaR, and Erika. And things happened between… LisaR finishes, Denise and Brandi. Denise tells Garcelle, it should be an interesting trip. Garcelle says she can’t wait.

Next time, the women throw coins in the Trevi Fountain, a statue comes to life, couture shopping happens, Teddi and Erika confront Denise, and Teddi announces Denise and Brandi had sex.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Alexis asks Julian to wait. Like he has a choice, since he’s being moved out in shackles.

Ned doesn’t want Olivia to go it alone, but she says he’ll be there in spirit.

Samira stares at the painting. Ned tells her they can only cover for her for so long. She wants to leave immediately, with the painting, but Ned thinks Tracy might object to that. No offense to this girl, but unless she’s leaving something out of her story (which no doubt she is), why on earth would she think Tracy owes her a $20 million painting?

On the phone at the hospital, Tracy says she needs the result of the DNA test now. Laura pops out of nowhere, and asks what DNA test?

Jason asks if Jake recognizes a picture in the photo album. Jake looks disturbed, and Jason says that it’s a picture of him before his accident. He asks if Jake remembers what he looked like then, and Jake says he does.

Jax wants Carly and Josslyn to move to Australia where they can be a family.

Jordan tells them to take Julian back to his cell. She asks Alexis what’s going on, and Alexis says they were just surprised to see each other. Diane arrives, and Jordan says she just missed Julian. She asks if Alexis is ready to make her statement. Diane wants to confer with Alexis in private first, but Alexis just wants to get it over with. Jordan wonders why Diane is there, since it’s just a statement. She wants to know what happened while the details are fresh. Diane’s suit is to die for. Black and white with zipper detailing. All suits should look like this.

In the interrogation room, Jordan starts the recording. Jordan asks Alexis if she recognizes her own scarf, and if it was found at the location where Julian kidnapped her. Alexis says she wasn’t kidnapped, giving Diane apoplexy.

Samira wonders where Tracy is, and asks Ned if he thinks Tracy is avoiding her.

Laura tells Tracy that she was there for a board meeting that Tracy missed, and Tracy says she can’t be everywhere at once. Laura asks if the test has something to do with Samira. Tracy drags her by her elbow into a more private area, and makes her swear she won’t say anything. She explains about Samira giving her the journal and signet ring, and how Samira said that Edward had given them to her mother. She says that along with Samira’s blue eyes, and Laura finishes that she thinks Edward might be Samira’s father. Laura asks what Samira thinks, and Tracy tells Laura how she got the DNA and gave it to Finn. Laura says she shouldn’t be going behind Samira’s back. Tracy says she doesn’t want to get Samira’s hopes up, since it’s a remote idea. She says Finn will confirm it, and she can put her ridiculous speculations behind her. Laura says she seems nervous.

Elizabeth tells Jason that it never bothered Jake before. Jason asks why it bothers him now. Jake says it doesn’t, and they both say that he can tell him anything. He says it bothers him because of the witch.

Carly tells Jax that she can’t go. Jax asks why not. He tells her to pack for a few days, and they’ll send for the rest later. She says it’s sudden. Jax says Sonny pushing the issue has done them a favor. Maybe it’s fate’s way of saying it’s their time to be together for keeps. He still loves her. She says she loves him too. He asks if it’s like she used to, and maybe it’s closer to the surface than she thinks. She says it’s complicated. She knows who’s to blame for all this mess. Jax says they’ve been through a lot of messes, and they still end up in each other’s orbit. They’re connected, and bring out the best in each other. They make more sense when they’re together. He thinks their lives can be greater together than being apart.

Jax thinks that after everything that happened with Morgan, the best thing is for Carly to leave Port Charles. She says It’s tempting, but Josslyn isn’t her only family. He says Michael can visit, but she says she feels close to Morgan in Port Charles. His grave marker helps her talk to him. Jax says she’ll take his memories wherever she goes; she can never break their connection. She says it’s not the same.

Laura says that Tracy just found out her father loves her, and then Samira shows up wanting the painting. Tracy tells Laura that just because she’s dating a psychiatrist, doesn’t mean she can shrink Tracy’s head. They decide to go back to the estate. Laura says until Tracy finds out if it’s positive, she can make peace with the fact that she might have a sister. Tracy corrects that to half-sister.

Samira asks Ned if Tracy will still refuse her. Ned thinks she’s made up her mind. Samira asks how she can convince her, and shows Ned a picture of her daughter, Sadika. She says her daughter needs her.

Olivia-F visits Julian. He asks if she’s there to gloat. She tells him about the engagement, and he says he’s happy for them, but wonders what else she has to say. She says what they’ve decided affects him as well.

Diane says Julian admitted it, but Jordan says they’re getting the victim’s point-of-view. Diane wants a moment alone with her client, but Jordan says she hasn’t not committed a crime. She asks if Alexis made an arrangement to meet Julian, and when Alexis says no, Diane thanks God for small favors. Alexis says Julian surprised her, but she went with him of her own free will. Jordan asks if Julian didn’t try to kill her at the docks, and why would she go voluntarily? Alexis says she was trying to convince him to turn himself in, but hadn’t made much headway before the police arrived. Jordan figures they were there an hour, and I’ll refrain from any jokes. Jordan thinks there’s something Alexis isn’t telling her. Alexis thinks about getting busy with Julian, and says there is.

Alexis tells Jordan that there was some confusion as to why she was there, and one officer thought she was an accomplice. Julian was worried, so he said he’d taken her hostage. She says it was his idea at the spur of the moment. Jordan asks why she waited to say anything, and Alexis says everything happened fast. She repeats that Julian didn’t take her hostage. She asks Jordan since he charges will be dropped, is the case against him still as strong?

Julian asks Olivia how their getting married affects him. She says he’s probably going to prison for a long time, and Leo isn’t going to know him. She’s not bringing him to visit. She says she wants Ned to adopt Leo, and Julian says, absolutely not.

Ned tells Samira that her daughter has the same blue eyes that she does. Samira tells him about a song she used to sing to her daughter in English, and starts to sing We Gather Together, possibly because they want me to cry. Tracy and Laura walk in. Tracy is stunned.

Carly tells Jax that the only reason Nelle is still in Port Charles is to get her claws into Michael. She doesn’t know how he became so trusting, considering how he was raised, and Jax suggests that it’s his form of rebellion. Carly says that if she stays, she can get in his face about it. Jax says that her staying isn’t going to influence him. Michael is either going to forgive Nelle or not, but it’s up to him; she can’t dictate his life. He thinks what’s stopping her is Sonny.

Elizabeth changes the subject, but then asks if Jake wants to talk about the witch. He says he doesn’t. Jason tells him that’s fine, but no witch is going to hurt him; he’s safe with them. He asks to go to his room. When he goes upstairs, Elizabeth asks what made Jason think of the picture? Jason says that’s how he looked when he worked for Helena.

Jordan says she can’t comment on the case. Diane asks if Alexis is done and free to go, and Jordan hopes she’s not obstructing justice. Jordan says Alexis should listen – Diane is trying to save her from herself.

Olivia-F says no one needs to make Leo forget; Julian is doing fine on his own. Why does he want to remind Leo of what he’s done? She tells Julian to do what’s best for Leo, and let him be raised so he’s proud of himself, not ashamed of where he comes from. She says that Julian says he loves Leo, and letting Ned adopt him would be the greatest gift he could give to him.

Ned talks about how his family sings the hymn every year at Thanksgiving. Tracy says it’s a very popular hymn, but Samira says not in Turkey, and I laugh. She tells them that her mother taught it to her. Tracy says they have things to talk about. Samira asks if she reconsidered, and Tracy says she’s keeping the painting. Ned takes her outside the room to talk. Ned tells Tracy that they have another problem, and it has nothing to do with the painting.

Jason tells Elizabeth that he doesn’t remember his years with Helena. He did anything Helena ordered him to do. He thinks he lived on the island too, and Jake saw him with Helena, and that’s why he’s afraid.

Carly tells Jax that Sonny doesn’t control her. She says she just declared war, and she’s not running now. Jax says that will only feed Sonny’s ego, but she can prove he no longer matters, and that’s victory. She says Sonny is not getting away with it. Jax says that instead of giving herself a shot at happiness, she wants to fight Sonny because he’s still in her blood and always will be.

Laura tells Samira they’ll find a way to save her daughter. She gives Samira a dress she bought for her. Samira says she won’t be there along enough to wear it.

Ned tells Tracy that immigration will be back with a warrant. She says she knows how to help Samira.

Diana asks wth is the matter with Alexis? Alexis says she told the truth, and Diane says a selective version. For once she doesn’t want to hear the details, but reminds Alexis of the consequences. She painted Julian as a saint. The bar committee might interpret her actions as harboring a criminal, and she could permanently lose her license. Diane asks if he’s worth it.

Jason says Helena was able to force him to put a bomb on The Haunted Star, and could have ordered him to do anything, and he’d have done it. Elizabeth suggests Jake could have seen something.

Jax tells Carly to prove he’s wrong. She says it’s not the right time, and she’s sorry. He says he loves her, and he knows she loves him in her own way, but it’s not enough. He has to go, and she has to stay and get back together with Sonny. She says that’s not happening. Jax says Sonny is at the epicenter of everything, and he’s going to end up destroying her because he can’t help himself.

Olivia-F says that it’s not her intention to hurt Julian; she just wants what’s best for their son. He says that he does too, and she asks him to think it over. He’s going to prison for a long time, and even if he gets out, who will be waiting?

Alexis says she’ll have to cross those bridges when they come to her, and Diane tells her to just make sure not to burn them as she scampers across. Alexis says the charges won’t stick. She asks if they can’t get him on Olivia-J’s crimes, if the kidnapping charge is on failsafe. Diane asks how it would change anything if he walks away.

Tracy tells Ned that there’s only one thing they can do. Ned asks if it will help get Samira’s daughter back. Tracy says in the long run, but she needs to get Samira out of the country now.

Jason says maybe Jake is afraid because back then, Jason did something terrible to him.

Carly tells Jax that she’ll never let Sonny destroy her, but she needs time to process everything. Jax says they’ll always be friends, and he’ll always help as much as he can. She says she doesn’t think she’s being unreasonable, and he tells her to take her time, but he doesn’t know if he’ll be waiting. He says it’s not an ultimatum, but sometimes if you pass on an offer, it doesn’t come back. She says she’ll take her chances; it wouldn’t be fair with so much unresolved, especially with Josslyn. She thanks him for the needed clarity and something to think about. She tells him to fly safe, and he says he’s an expert pilot. They say good-by, and you know what I’m thinking.

Tomorrow, Nelle thinks Michael is never going to forgive her, Samira collapses, and Griff asks Anna if she knows how dangerous what she’s doing is.

😞 Jane Elliot is going to be leaving the show on May 4th, so there will be a special episode on Friday, highlighting Tracy’s exploits.

Southern Charm

Landon unloads stuff from the trunk of her car – or rather, has someone else do it – for the polo match at Thomas’s plantation. Thomas says she knows how to entertain and is good in the kitchen, unlike some other women who have been in his life. We flash back to Kathryn trying to cook dinner, a totally unfair comparison, since she’s also tending to a child. He wants a woman who will reflect positively on his legacy, and thinks maybe she’s the whole package. Oh, the jokes I could make, both about Thomas’s legacy and Landon being a package.

Everyone is getting ready. The horses are getting hosed down. The bar is set up. Guests start to arrive, and Landon plays Lady of the Manor. Or plantation, as it were.

Austen picks up Chelsea and I love, love, love her dress. The backless sundress style is flattering, and the orange and purple retro colors are fantastic. She says all she knows about polo is from Pretty Woman. I don’t even remember that. She says she made out with Shep once, but thinks he acts like an idiot.

Whitney tries to interact with Thomas’s baby. In her interview, Cameran says Whitney holding a baby is like Whitney holding a mop – he’s never done it before, so it’s awkward.

Landon tells Craig there’s hooch out back, and in his interview, he thinks she fits right in with this life. Chelsea eats like a heathen, and Austen wonders if it’s supposed to gross him out or turn him on. She tells Cameran and Whitney that it’s their first date, and Cameran questions if it’s breaking bro code, since Shep kind of had his eye on her. Well, maybe Shep needs to move faster.

Thomas explains polo rules to Austen. Craig wants to give it a go. Thomas’s kids are wheeled past in a giant stroller by the babysitter. Kelsey cries for daddy, but Thomas doesn’t even go over to them, since he wants to concentrate on the game. When Craig suggests he might want to give the child crying for him a hug, Thomas whines that he can’t please everyone. Craig is bothered, but Landon says Thomas is Thomas. Craig wonders how everyone would feel if Kathryn did the same thing. Good point, Craig. Landon thinks Craig doesn’t understand Southern social protocol. Craig tells Cameran about the kids calling for their dad, and him ignoring it, but she thinks it’s a healthy, stable environment. Craig decides to take a breather. In her interview, Cameran thinks he should re-focus his energy on helping himself.

Austen tells Chelsea that Thomas’s team won the match, and she says it’s rigged. Craig talks to Naomie about Thomas’s kids. In her interview, she says nobody likes a meddler. Yeah, unless that meddler is you. All of these people are meddlers.

Shep visits Whitney at his mommy’s house, while still drunk from the reception. He talks about turning 37 soon, and wonders where the years went. He thinks 40 is a good age to take stock, and says he has three years to go before he needs to panic. They make grilled cheese, and Shep asks what he missed. Whitney tells him about Austen and Chelsea being cozy at the polo match, and that he has competition.

Austen tells his roommate Dan about the possible breaking of bro code, but thinks it’s all good.

Shep asks if Austen and Chelsea were doing more than just talking. He wants to be in the know if someone is sitting in his chair. Whitney thinks he’s jealous because he’s been usurped by his protegee.

Kathryn meets Craig for dinner. He welcomes her back. She says she feels great, and asks about the charity event. She says it’s not that she didn’t want to see Thomas, but it didn’t seem like the right time. In his interview, he says he’s proud of her. He tells her about the polo match and Landon co-hosting. He says he thinks it makes Landon feel like she’s living her old life. In her interview, Kathryn says she’s been saying that Landon was pursuing Thomas, and when she reads people, she’s right. Craig tells her about Thomas ignoring the kids, and how he said he can’t please everyone. Kathryn says she has supervised visitation every other weekend. We see a clip of her picking the kids up. Craig wonders if they’ll get to the point where it’s joint custody. She says it’s complicated with all of the rules, and she’s dealing one day at a time.

Chelsea and Austen meet for drinks. They find out they’re both Geminis. She asks if he wants kids, and he tells her yes, but he’s not in a rush. She asks how many one-night stands he’s had. He tells her two or three, but in his interview, it’s a different story. He invites her over for a nightcap.

Shep calls Chelsea, who says she’s dying. She thought it was a good idea to drink Painkillers, and now she’s paying the price. He suggests that next time she goes out drinking, she let him know. We flash back to when they went out with Cameran, and Shep suggests she give him a haircut the next day and then have some fun. In his interview, he says he hates to lose.

Shep calls Landon. She doesn’t pick up, even though she’s looking at the phone. He invites her to his birthday boat cruise. It’s the next day, and I’m puzzled at how invitations always seem to be last-minute with this group. At most, they’re a week ahead of time. And these aren’t casual gettogethers. Either none of these people have anything to do, or they’re incredibly rude. Or both. We flash back to Shep giving Landon advice, and she says she’s not interested in being around him right now. She calls Craig, and asks if he’s going. He says they’ll just give Shep fuel if they don’t show up. He wonders if Shep is being an a-hole or a friend. Landon wishes it wasn’t on a boat, because it makes her feel trapped. Craig wonders if it’s on purpose, and she says she’s a good swimmer.

Naomie and Cameran go for mani/pedis. They talk about Shep’s birthday. Cameran says as the night gets older, he has the mental equivalent of a nine-year-old. They discuss Craig, and Cameran says he told her that he wants to build a real estate portfolio. She just wants him to find his niche. Cameran suggests that Naomie call him on not really wanting to be a lawyer. Naomie says it’s her fault for giving him a “safe space” at home. Cameran tells her that she can’t avoid discussing things because they’re uncomfortable. In her interview, she thinks Naomie is the best thing that’s happened to him, and if he doesn’t change, she’s going out the door. She tells Naomie not to be afraid to talk to him about it.

Shep goes to Chelsea’s salon to get a haircut. He’s taking this as a challenge. Not the haircut, getting together with her. She asks if he has a birthday date, and he says no. She asks if he met anyone at the wedding, and he says he’s weird and picky. He asks who she was with when she got drunk, and she says Austen. He asks if they’re romantically involved, and she says they’re hanging out and getting to know one another. She asks if he cares who she’s smooching, and he says he wants to be kept in the know. She asks about the reverse, and he says that he’s not with a different woman every night, but she says that’s the Shep she knows.

Austen picks out a checked shirt and says “righteous!” No. Just no.

Shep tells us that he loves kooky cocktail attire. When he dresses up, he doesn’t want to be conspicuous, but does want to be noticed. Everyone arrives at the boat. Shep tells Cameran about his haircut, and wonders if Chelsea has seen Austen since they went out drinking. Cameran says maybe they’re just friends, and points out that she and Shep go out together. In his interview, Shep says the definition of hanging out is different for everyone. So is hooking up. There’s awkwardness at the bar, with Shep, Austen, and Chelsea all there. In his interview, Whitney says Shep would do the same thing. Shep and Austen greet each other, and Chelsea looks super uncomfortable.

Craig got stuck in traffic, but manages to get there before launch time. The Caroline Girl shoves off, and Shep’s birthday is announced. Cameran tells Chelsea that the first thing Shep talked about was her going out with Austen. Chelsea says she had a blast with Austen, and felt chemistry. Cameran asks who’s the better kisser, and don’t lie. Chelsea thinks Austen has emotion, whereas Shep was like, you’re a girl and you’re here; there was no connection. Cameran says his reputation precedes him, and Chelsea says he’d have to do a lot to get her to stop thinking of him in that way. In her interview, Cameran says this screws up her grand plan, but maybe it’s a good thing, and will make Shep get it together. She hasn’t lost hope.

Cameran tells Shep about Chelsea and Austen making out. She says he needs to grow a pair. He says it’s easier for him to fool around with someone he doesn’t care about. Cameran says it’s not about that, and asks if he wants to be like Thomas – a fifty-year-old man with no shoelaces. We see Thomas, and sure enough, he’s wearing sneakers with no shoelaces. In his interview, Shep thinks Chelsea looks at him as never being serious.

Shep talks to Landon and Thomas. Landon wants to talk to him privately. Yep, she’s such an idiot, that she’s going to bother him with her feelings at his birthday party. He apologizes for being hard on her, but says he’d feel worse if he hadn’t said something. In her interview, Landon says it wasn’t exactly an apology, but if he wants to think they’re cool, fine.

Thomas tells Whitney that he doesn’t like pear-shaped girls, and he likes Landon’s body. He says that he’s never had “sexual relations with that woman,” but she’s the type he’d like. How repulsive is he? Let me count the ways. Landon sits down, and Thomas asks why he turns her off. She says that he doesn’t totally; they like a lot of the same things. She says a part of her wants to like Thomas, but there’s too much drama. She knows his reputation and current situation, and she was already married to that. Whitney suggests they get it over with, and see if they like it or they don’t, subtlety not being his strong suit.

Shep is getting that weird artist girl to do another painting of him. Chelsea and Austen go out on the deck. Shep acts stupid with the girls. In her interview, Cameran says that, instead of going after Chelsea, in typical Shep fashion, Shep is acting like a horny St. Bernard. He tells Cameran that he’s walking away, and she wonders why he’s even talking about it. He says he doesn’t want to ruin friendships.

Chelsea asks Austen how he feels about their relationship; she’s all about seeing where it goes. She says she likes him, and he says that’s great news.

Cameran says that Shep has a hard time showing his feelings, and he’s going to end up alone with a fridge full of beer. Shep says this is him; he isn’t hiding any inner feelings. Cameran thinks he’s lying, and Shep tells her that she’s wrong.

Next time, an altercation between Jennifer and Kathryn, Thomas thinks he’s lost his judgement skills (if he ever had them), Shep talks to Austen about Chelsea, Shep confronts Austen, and Craig tells Naomie that she’s acting dumb. Again I say, unless he’s not paying back borrowed money, or not paying his share of the bills, who cares what career path, or not, he decides to take?

🍹 Andy had promised all hell would break loose on Watch What Happens Live tonight. It wasn’t quite that, but it was a lot of fun. The guests were Patricia Altschul from Southern Charm and Kelly Osbourne. The best part was Patricia wearing a caftan with a sparkly collar and Pug Chauncy’s face all over it. And she has a line of things she can make for you too! She even presented Andy with Wacha PJs. I did want to yell at the TV a couple of times though. One being when Patricia agreed with Thomas ignoring the kids at the polo match, claiming that polo is a dangerous game, and he really needed to concentrate. I would actually buy that, if it weren’t for Thomas whining that he couldn’t please everyone. Andy also let Kelly plead the fifth twice, which just isn’t right. You can check out Patricia’s pet line at: http://patriciascouture.com/?gclid=CI_Y8dvqvtMCFc9MDQodXoYIhg

😯 In what could possibly be a future unfortunate identity crisis, there is a person named Patricia Couture, who made headlines with some scandal, so if you google it, make sure you put in Patricia‘s Couture or add Altschul.
