What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

In keeping with the tradition of every long, yet rushed, week, I missed the beginning, but here’s what happened. Dr. Kirk told Franco that he believed the voice Franco was hearing was a leftover memory of Drew’s. Scotty caught Obrecht outside the office, and wondered if she’d escaped from prison. Olivia told Alexis her marriage was just fine, and Alexis asked if she was sure. Tracy interrupted, and steered Alexis away from Olivia, and toward the bar. At one of the tables, Nikolas and Ava were celebrating, and Nikolas said he had a surprise for Ava. It was the post-nup, which he tossed on the table. Sam met Carly at the MetroCourt, and Dante met Olivia. Sam told Carly that she and Jason had separated, and Dante told Olivia that he was thinking about taking Rocco home. Jason and Sonny went to NYC, where Jason thought Spinelli would be able to locate Julian. He told Sonny that he and Sam had separated. Julian knocked on an apartment door, and a woman opened it, but kept the chain-lock on. Julian said he was looking for Kim Nero, and…

The woman says he’s in the right place. This is Dr. Nero’s apartment. He asks if she’s Kim’s roommate, but she says she works there. He says he thought maybe Kim no longer lived there, and she says she knows who he is. He’s Charlie.

Jason tells Sonny, the explosion was terrible. For Sam to think maybe her son could have been in there… He had nothing to do with anything. He dropped Danny off at the Quartermaines, and went to the hospital to talk to Britt. He had no idea what happened until he saw the alerts when he was driving over. He doesn’t know how it felt, standing in the parking lot, thinking their son was dead, waiting to see if they carried his body out. The same way he didn’t know what it was like when Morgan died. He hears Sonny and Carly talk about it, and he grieved when he found out, but he wasn’t there. He didn’t watch it happen. So Sam connected those two things – Morgan’s death could be Danny or Scout’s death – and she doesn’t want that. She’s not wrong.

Carly tells Sam, it’s a big decision, and she knows it cost a lot. Sam says, nothing means more to her than her kids. Standing in The Floating Rib parking lot, not knowing Danny’s condition… Carly says, torture, and Sam says she didn’t want the last memory of her son to be his baseball cap. She wants to watch her kids breathe, grow, and make beautiful lives for themselves. Because of that, it means she can’t be with Jason.

Sam tells Carly, she had no idea what she said. It all came tumbling out; the regret, the fear, all of it. Carly says she knows; Jason just stood there took it. Sam says, yeah. Part of her wanted him to fight for her so bad. To come up with a miraculous loophole where he could still work for Sonny, but keep them safe. She knows it doesn’t exist, and she can’t keep pretending it does.

Sonny says he’s sorry. He can see how bad Jason is hurting, but he’s not surprised. Something changed in Sam that night. Jason says he didn’t see it. He was caught up in everything else, and didn’t realize. Sonny says, he was blindsided, and Jason says that’s why he was late. He was on his way out, when Sam stopped him, and asked him not to come back. He was standing there listening about her fears, and how it’s not the life she wanted for Danny and Scout. He wanted to comfort her, but he couldn’t. He wanted to fight it, but he said he wouldn’t. All he could hear in his head was that he let this happen. He bangs the steering wheel, and says, he let this happen. He knew better. He knew he never should be a father.

The woman lets Julian in, and he says no one has called him Charlie in a long time. She says Kim showed her pictures, and told her how he helped her through her son’s terrible death. He says he wishes he could have done more, and she says, the way Kim talks, he did plenty. He asks how Kim is, and she says Kim never got over losing Oscar, but she was able to pick up the pieces. She got a job at the hospital. She’s going to be surprised to find him there. Julian says, it’s a surprise to him too.

Ava says she can’t believe Nikolas chose now to throw the post-nup in her face, but he says he’s giving it to her to  destroy it. She asks why he didn’t say so, and he asks if she’d like to do the honors. She tears it up, and throws it on the table. They toast to love, and she says how good it is to get rid of it. He says, one less threat to their happiness. They only have to take care of one more.

Tracy tells Alexis that she and Luke started a promising enterprise in Amsterdam, and they need a good lawyer. Alexis says she lost her license, and Tracy asks if that means she lost her knowledge and experience. Alexis says, no, and Tracy says, it pays well, and Amsterdam is a beautiful part of the world. Alexis can start over. She’s offering Alexis an opportunity. Alexis says it doesn’t sound appealing.

Dante tells Olivia, his gut is telling him to take Rocco home, but he’s worried about it. He’s pretty much a stranger to his own son. He hasn’t been there, and Rocco doesn’t know him. He’s comfortable at the Quartermaine’s, and Leo is there. If he hadn’t left, and this didn’t happen, and Lulu and Rocco had been secure with him, this wouldn’t be the case. Olivia asks if he really believes that, and Dante says he sees it in Rocco’s eyes and body language. Rocco knows Dante is his dad, but he doesn’t feel the way should feel, and Lulu isn’t there to bridge the gap. He needs help knowing what to do with his son.

Franco tells Kirk, he’s read the file now. Most of his life he was a seriously messed up person who did seriously messed up things. When the tumor was removed, all that disappeared, and his impulses were gone. Kirk says, so he’s thinking now that the tumor is back, they’ll return? Franco says he’s terrified, and Kirk says, they’ll take it as it comes, but he’s convinced he can help.

Obrecht tells Scotty to keep it to himself and calls him a dummkopf. She says his only redeeming quality is that his son is an amazing human being. He says Franco  thinks she’s as guilty as he does, but she says, once she explains the truth, Franco will see the light. Franco comes out, and says he’s all ears.

Obrecht tells Franco and Scotty, she’s been exonerated, but the person who framed her is out there. If they know she’s free, they’ll cover their tracks. She’s staying there until they can obtain proof. Please, tell no one. Kirk says he hates to break up this reunion, but he needs a word with Obrecht. He’ll see Franco tomorrow. Kirk and Obrecht go into the office, and Scotty says, unbelievable. Franco says, yeah, and Scotty says, wait a minute, mister. He’s not buying that hogwash, is he?

Olivia tells Dante she’s sorry. Without even realizing it, she’s been running interference between him and Rocco. She thought she was making it easier, but in doing grandma stuff, she thinks she built a wall. He says, that’s not what the conversation is about. She’s been his touchstone, and he’s grateful. She says she gets it, but thinks maybe Dante needs to be Rocco’s touchstone. It’s the only way they can build a bond. They’ll struggle through it, day by day. As much as she loves having him there, maybe it’s best if he takes Rocco home.

Alexis asks, what’s gotten into Tracy? She dragged Alexis over there, now she’s begging her to pack up and move to Amsterdam. Tracy says Alexis isn’t hearing begging. She’s doing this for her. Alexis laughs, and Tracy asks, what’s funny? Alexis says Tracy doesn’t do anything for anyone, unless it’s a Quartermaine. This is about her and Ned, isn’t it?

Nikolas and Ava stand by Ryan’s bedside, and Ava says, it’s over. Ryan is never going to threaten, blackmail, or manipulate her again. Sonny knows everything, and Julian is dead. He jumped to his death before she could kill him. She only wishes she’d killed Ryan a long time ago.

Julian tells the woman, he was hoping to reconnect with Kim. Let her know he’ll never forget her. She says, it sounds final, and he says he came to say goodbye. Crying comes from another room, and Julian asks if there’s a baby there.

Jason says, he got together with Sam in the beginning because she was pregnant with Sonny’s baby. Looking back, he knows he stepped up for Sam and the baby, but he was also doing for Sonny. Sonny and Carly had just gotten back together, and he wanted them to stay together, for all their sakes. They were his family, and there was no possibility of him turning his back on Sonny, and going away to have something separate with Sam. He knew that about himself, which was why, when Sam wanted to have kids, he should have fought against it. He should have been stronger. He tried for a long time, but he loved Sam so much, and she wanted it so bad. He doesn’t regret Danny exists; he loves Danny. Sonny says he knows, and Jason says he’s proud of Danny. He sees parts of him and Sam in Danny, and would never undo that. Sonny says Jason would die for his son, and Jason says, but now Danny is having his life ripped apart, and let’s be real. It’s on me.

Ava tells Nikolas, there’s nothing there that can hurt them anymore, but Nikolas thinks they should make absolutely sure. He picks up a pillow, and Felix walks in. Felix asks what they’re doing there, and Ava says, just checking on Ryan. They were making sure he was under guard, but there’s no security. (Funny. I’ve been saying that about GH for years.) Felix says, if Ryan regains consciousness, he guarantees there will be guards all over the place. Ava asks if there’s been any change, but Felix says, no. Nikolas asks about the prognosis. If he wakes up, will he be functional? Felix says he’s not allowed to say, but for what it’s worth, he hopes Ryan doesn’t remember his name for what he did to Kiki. He still misses her. Ava thanks him, and says she does too. Felix leaves, and Ava asks if Nikolas was really going to kill Ryan. Nikolas says, no. They were going to do it together. They walk out, and Ryan moves his index finger, and his eyelids flutter.

Scotty tells Franco that he wouldn’t trust Obrecht as far as he could throw her. Dr. Kirk too. Franco says Dr. Kirk is going to help him, and stop the voice in his head.

Kirk says Obrecht took a big risk allowing them to see her. She says it wasn’t her intention, but it happened. He says, it did, but they mustn’t let it interfere with their time together. He sent the staff home, and they’re alone. They can finally be together now. He grabs her, and dips her over his desk.

Olivia tells Dante that he and Rocco should be having this conversation. They’re missing Lulu, and they need each other. He says he wants to be able to make it okay for his son, but he doesn’t know how. She says he won’t until he actually does it. Dante asks if she doesn’t think Rocco will balk at the suggestion, but she says he’s not moving to New Zealand. It’s Rocco’s childhood home, and holds his memories. Rocco can still spend three nights a week at grandma’s house, and play with Leo. They need to get him on a schedule.

Alexis says Tracy knows she and Ned slept together. Tracy says, what?! and Alexis says, knock it off. It was stupid, drunk, and one night; it didn’t mean anything, but Olivia should know. Tracy says Alexis isn’t going to tell her… and Alexis says she has no intention of breaking up their marriage. Tracy says, but she’s drinking. That could lead to loose lips, misjudgments, and blackouts. Is Alexis going to tell her that’s never happened?  Alexis says, go to hell. She’s going home. Tracy says she’ll drive her, but Alexis says, unfortunately she’s not drunk. Tracy says, really? and Alexis says, fine. She’ll come back to get her car tomorrow. Tracy says she’s driving Alexis’s car, and won’t take no for an answer. Fork them over. Alexis gives Tracy her keys, and says, in that case… and chugs the rest of her drink.

Carly says she knew Sam was scared, but had no idea she felt this way. Sam says she didn’t either, but she’s had moments in the last couple of days where it hit her so hard. Last night, Jason had to leave, and Danny was really disappointed. They sat down and had a conversation. They talked about feelings, and Danny told her that he was upset when Jason would leave, and he didn’t know when Jason was coming back. He told her that he hated having guards, and the thing that really broke her heart was when he said he couldn’t have friends over because their parents were afraid of Jason. Danny shouldn’t have to deal with that; Scout either. So that means their life with Jason is over. It’s not Jason’s fault; he’s who he is, and never pretended to be otherwise. Carly says, Jason hasn’t changed, but you have.

Jason says he was surprised at the timing, but not that it happened. He’s known all along there was a chance Sam would reach a point where it didn’t make sense for her; all the risks she’d take for herself, she can’t take for Danny and Scout. At that point, he wanted to say he was leaving the business, and taking them somewhere safe, but he can’t do that. It’s not him. If he left, and something happened to Sonny and his family, he couldn’t live with that. So his only choice is to do what Sam wants, and she wants them to be over. He sighs.

Julian looks at a photo of a baby. The woman comes out, and says, it’s all good now. He just needed a fresh diaper. Julian asks if he’s her son, and she laughs. She says, no. She’s the nanny. It’s Kim’s baby.

Dante thanks Olivia for helping him make sense of this, and coming up with a plan. More important, he thanks her for coming to Geneva. It’s the reason he turned a corner; hearing her on the other side of the door, refusing to give up. She tells him, get used to it. She’ll never give up. She knows the kind of man he is. She sees how he struggles every day, and keeps showing up struggling. It’s all they can ask, that he keep doing his best. She loves him so much, and she’s so proud of him. He says he loves her too.

Alexis says she gets Tracy wanting her son to be happy; Ned is a good man. Tracy says, that he is, and Alexis says she told Ned to tell her. Tracy says, what? and Alexis says she told Ned to tell Olivia. Things have a way of coming out anyway. She feels bad about what she did, and for Olivia. Her husband cheated on her, and she doesn’t deserve it. Somebody ought to tell her. Tracy gives Alexis a look.

Sam tells Carly, she’s envisioning a bright future for her kids. It’s what she wants and knows it’s right, but it comes at the price of losing an incredible man she loves so much. She guesses that’s what happens when you grow up and become a parent. You put the kids first, rather than following your own heart. She’s sorry if she said anything offensive, but Carly says she didn’t. They’re very different people from different circumstances, and the choices they make will be different. Sam is doing what she thinks is right for her family, like Carly is doing what she thinks is right for hers.

Sonny asks if Jason thinks Sam is doing the right thing, and Jason says, he told her as much. They’re adults, and they’ll be okay, but the people whose lives are upended are Danny and Scout. No explanation can change the fact that they’re losing their family. Sonny was damaged by his father, and never really healed until he was grown, and Mike just passed away. He doesn’t want that for Danny and Scout, but he doesn’t know how to stop it from happening. Sonny says there’s a big difference between Jason and his dad. His dad ran away; Jason isn’t doing that. It’s hard on Danny and Scout, but they’ll know he acted in honor. They might not know now, but as they get older, they’ll know it meant something. Jason’s phone rings, and he says, it’s Spinelli. He must have information. Jason answers, and asks what Spinelli’s got.

The nanny says, Kim never told Julian she was pregnant? She knew before she left Port Charles. He says they weren’t exactly on the best terms, and asks the baby’s name. She says, Andrew, but they call him Andy.

Franco tells Scotty that Kirk thinks the voice is a leftover memory of Drew’s. Better than that, he thinks he can fix it. Scotty says, that would be great, and Franco says, but…? Scotty says he thinks they have an agenda, and he intends to find out what it is.

Obrecht says, consummating their relationship in Kirk’s office wasn’t the romance she imagined. He says any way they’re together is perfect. She says, it’s not, and he says, she claims to love him, but her actions show him otherwise. He thinks she’s using him to get what she wants. She says what she wants is her freedom. To force her to do sexual favors for it is disgusting. He couldn’t handle a woman like her. He picks up the phone, and says he’s sounding the alarm. Anna needs to know Dante is coming for her and her son. Obrecht puts a pocket knife to his throat, and tells him to put the phone down.

Franco calls Elizabeth, and says he has good news. In the office, Obrecht and Kirk struggle, and Scotty walks in. He asks, what’s going on? and punches Kirk in the face. Kirk falls on the knife. Oops.

The nanny says, it might be a while until Kim is home, and asks if Julian wants to leave a note. An alarm goes off, and Julian asks, what the hell is that? She says, the fire alarm, and he asks if she was expecting a drill. She says she doesn’t know, but to be safe, they should get out of there. In the hallway, Jason hides.

Scotty tells Obrecht, it was a small blade. He’ll be okay, right? She says, wrong. He’s dead.

Olivia tells Dante, it’s so sad to see people buckle. Like Alexis. She’s an admirable woman, but she’s been spewing hate. Dante says he was talking to her earlier, and Olivia tells him, try not to take on her poison. Alexis was drunk, and implying there was something she knew about Olivia’s marriage that Ned wasn’t telling her. Dante says, she has no idea what Alexis was talking about? and she says, no clue.

Alexis is behind the wheel of the car, unconscious. Tracy says, there are those say she’s questionable as a mother. They might be right, but Olivia is the best thing that’s happened to Ned. She refuses to let one mistake ruin his marriage. Since she can’t trust Alexis to keep her mouth shut, she’s doing what she needs to. She gets out of the car.

Nikolas looks in on Ryan, and tells Ava, no signs of life. They’ll make a plan to be free once and for all. Is she sure about this? He should have been there for her when she confronted her brother. When it comes to Ryan, he will be.

We see Ryan’s eyes are open.

The nanny leaves the apartment, and when she’s gone, Jason comes out. On the phone, Jason tells Sonny, a woman just left, but it wasn’t Kim. He’s going in. He draws his gun, and kicks the door open, but the apartment is empty.

Carly says Sam seems at peace with her decision, and Sam says she is. Carly thinks that means she made the right one. She has to say she’s sorry it’s come to this for all of them, and Sam says she’s sorry too. She thanks Carly, and Carly says she’s always there for Sam. Sam leaves, and Carly looks like she’s in pain. She calls Jason, and says she just wants him to know that she loves him, and she’s there. Whatever he needs.

The nanny calls Kim, and says the man Kim warned her about showed up. She got rid of him. He has no idea Kim’s baby is his.

Julian jumps down into an alleyway. He starts to leave, but Sonny is there with a gun. He says, don’t run off, Jules. We have a lot to talk about.

On Monday, Maxie has some bad news, Franco wonders who’s on the other side of the door, Cyrus knew someone would see eye to eye with him, and Sonny tells Julian that the information he’s got is keeping him alive.

✂️ Dustin Deleted…

He deserved better than barely a mention.

❓ David Who…?

All about David Hamilton and why Laura killed him.

🐅 Tidbit Of the Tiger

While I was perusing Netflix to watch something for my gig athttps://mupoentertainment.com/theresa-krakauskas/, and feeling like Dory from Finding Nemo, I said, oh look! Tiger King! I’d been out of the loop when it was everyone else’s pandemic distraction, and then forgotten about it. So for the next however many hours it took, I watched the entire series, including Joel McHale’s follow-up The Tiger King and I. I’d forgotten how funny he is. If you haven’t checked this documentary out, by all means do. It’s a different kind of horror show, the entire cast reminding me of a tribe of people the Z Nation group would have come across. (And yes, I’m still bitter about Z Nation’s cancelation, and always will be.) Not since Steve Rubel opened Studio 54 have there been so many screwed up people in one place. A tragedy in the making, all I could think about was how much somebody needed to step in for the animals. The documentary of the battle royale between self-proclaimed Tiger King, Joe Exotic, and Big Cat Rescue owner, Carol Baskin – who may or may not have killed her husband and fed him to a tiger – is a horror of the reality kind. Truth is ultimately stranger than fiction. You can’t make this stuff up.

🏞 Another Good One…

Big Sky is coming up to it’s mid-winter finale (whatever that is), but you can see it all On Demand. John Carroll Lynch’s performance alone is worth the price of admission. Warning: This article will either contain spoilers or fill you in if you want to catch up quickly.

👶🏼 Watch If You Dare…

There’s no other way to say it. I Love a Mama’s Boy pisses me off. It’s one of those shows I watch with horrified fascination, wondering if these people are for real. From the mother who started crying at a toy store because her son said she couldn’t get her granddaughter an extra toy, to the full-on bitch in this article. Probably a spoiler, but it won’t matter. You will still watch with your mouth hanging open.

🏆 Presenting Adults…

Awards shows make for strange bedfellows. While I’m not into the adult film industry, I saw one of these awards shows once when it surprised me in coming on after a non-adult film I was watching late at night. Another thing I watched in horrified fascination, although it was actually pretty amusing, and definitely less offensive than Mama’s Boy.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Outside what’s left of The Floating Rib, Sam asks Jason where Danny is, and Jason says he dropped Danny at the Quartermaines. Sam hugs him, and says, thank God. He tells her, it’s okay. Julian watches, puts Danny’s baseball cap on the ground, and walks off.

Alexis continues to drink, and tells Valentin, he’s done his duty. He crashed the intervention, and said his piece. Molly is upstairs avoiding her, and he doesn’t need to stay. She has all the company she needs right here. He says he’ll stay until they hear about her grandson, but she says she doesn’t need a watchdog or a babysitter. He says he’s got a glass; where’s his lime?

Mac tells Officer Williams, no one gets into the wreckage. They’re still working inside. Maxie and Peter come along, and Maxie asks if everyone is out. Mac says he thinks so, but they’re still checking. Lulu and Dustin were inside, and taken to the hospital. Maxie says, please tell her they’re okay.

Lulu tells Dante, Dustin is gone and she wasn’t even with him. Dante holds out the ring, and says Dustin left this for her. His last words were about her, and he wanted her to have it. He gives it to her, and she cries. He holds her.

Brad tosses and turns, saying, don’t kill me. Please. Britt tells him that he’s okay; it’s a bad dream. Brad says, it’s more than that, and she says, more how? He tells her, it was like a premonition. Whoever tried to kill him is going to finish the job. She says, it was just a dream. Trust her; she’s a doctor. He needs to calm down, relax, and focus on feeling better. He’s safe. He says, seriously? If Cyrus wants to take him down, there is no safe place, especially not there. She says she’ll see about that.

Cyrus and Brando come into the hospital. Cyrus says he heard the terrible news, and Portia says, the casualties are being brought in, and she’s on top of it. She keeps moving, and he tells Brando, he needs the names of who survived, and who didn’t.

Sam says she was so scared when she couldn’t reach Jason. He says he dropped Danny off, and then he was working. Danny is safe. Sonny says, it was a hell of a scare, and Sam says she wasn’t as scared as Julian (really? she seemed pretty hysterical). She says, he picked up Danny’s cap. She looks around, and sees the cap on the ground, but no Julian. She wonders where Julian went, and asks why he would just take off like that. Jason is sure they’ll see him again.

Ava looks around the docks, and says, dammit, Julian. It’s just like him. He tells her it’s an emergency, she comes out on the launch, and he’s not even there. Julian comes out, and says he’s there. He had to make sure it was her, and that she wasn’t followed. She says, that doesn’t bode well for the evening, and he says she has to hide him at Windymere. She asks, what happened? and he says she hasn’t heard? She says, clearly she hasn’t. Bottom line it. What’s the problem? He says, the problem is, if she doesn’t hide him, he’s a dead man.

Britt tells Brad, think about it. Would Cyrus kill him in his own hospital? Brad says, hell yes. Everyone will think it was Sonny, who has plenty of means and motive. She tells him, calm down. She’ll find a way to keep him safe. He says, good luck with that, and Britt tells him, try to get some sleep.

In the hallway, Britt sees Lucas, and says she’s surprised he made the effort. He says, to what? Come to work? She says she thought he stopped by to see Brad, and he says, Brad is here?

Maxie says, tell her Lulu and Dustin are okay, but Mac says, all he knows is, Lulu walked out, and Dustin came out on a stretcher. Maxie tells Peter, instead of going into a panic, she’s going to the hospital; she’ll get a Ride Share. He says he’ll take her, but she asks if he has another reporter there. He says, no, and she says, then it’s on him. He’ll be more useful there.

Lulu tells Dante, she replays it in her mind, and it’s in slow motion. One minute, Dustin is alive and asking her, and the next… She starts to cry again, and Dante says she’s in shock. He tells her to sit tight. They have to make sure all she has is a headache. She says, Dustin brought the ring out, and got on one knee. Then everything went dark. She didn’t even get to say goodbye.

Alexis says she recognizes that she and Valentin have a certain kind of kinship. She might say there are moments they actually like each other, but she can’t imagine he cares one way or the other if she leads a sober life or ends up face down in the gutter. He says he’s man enough to know when he’s beaten. With all the good intentions in the world, he can’t save her. She was raised by Cassadines, and grew up in their world. She says, here’s to that, and he says, sometimes you can only find solace in the bottom of a glass. Alexis says, it’s more complex than that. She doesn’t expect him to understand. He says he was raised be the same wolves. He still hears them now.

Sam gives Jason the baseball cap, and says, that’s how close they came to the explosion. Jason says he took Danny to the Quartermaines before it happened, and asks how everyone else is; Cameron and Dev were inside. Carly and Sonny join them, and Carly says, Cameron is okay. Sonny says, Dev didn’t make it, and they keep walking. Sam says now that she has Jason alone, why didn’t he call her when he heard about the explosion? He says, something urgent came up, and his phone died. When he got it back, and saw what happened, he was close by, so he just came there.

Sonny looks inside at the wreckage. He tells Carly, Dev crossed half the globe by himself to be a part of their family. Family is supposed to protect you and keep you safe. It’s not supposed to end like this.

Maxie runs into the hospital, and asks Deanna where Lulu is. Deanna says, in there, pointing, and Maxie goes in. Dante leaves, and Lulu cries in Maxie’s arms, saying, Dustin is gone.

Peter looks inside The Rib, then sees Mac. He wonders if he can ask Mac some questions, and Mac says, as his future son-in-law or the press? Peter says, both, and Mac says as soon as the firemen are finished, the PCPD will proceed with their investigation. Sonny asks if Mac knows anything, but he says they’re still checking. Sonny says he lost someone – Dev – and Mac says he’s sorry for Sonny’s loss. Sonny says, maybe it was an accident, maybe it wasn’t. He’d appreciate it if Mac would tell him when he finds out.

Lucas asks Britt, who tried to kill Brad? but she thinks he should talk to Brad. Clearly, he still cares. He asks again, who tried to kill Brad? and she says, all he needs to know is Brad is lucky to be alive. He needs all the support he can get. Lucas goes into Brad’s room. Brad has his eyes shut, and says, Britt? He opens his eyes.

Julian tells Ava that he’ll explain on the way, but she says, explain now. She guesses Cyrus called in his marker. What did he ask Julian to do? He says, Cyrus wanted him to kill Jason.

Jason tells Sonny, he’s sorry about Dev, and Sam says, he was a good kid. Sonny thanks them, and Sam asks how Brando is taking it. Sonny says he called Brando, but he hasn’t called back. He doesn’t want Brando to hear it from someone else. Carly wonders where Brando is, and Jason says, Cyrus is probably at GH. Odds are, Brando is with him. Sam says she’s going to pick up Danny, and Jason tells her that he’s going to head over to the hospital first. She says she was hoping they’d go home together, and he says he won’t be long; it’s important. Sonny suggests it can wait, but Jason says, if it could, he’d let it. Carly and Sonny leave, and Sam asks if it has something to do with whatever is going on with Sonny and Cyrus. Jason says he’ll explain later, and they hug.

Lulu tells Maxie, she thought she wanted to make a life with Dustin, then Dante came back, and had a hold on her heart. She started to question what she wanted, and when she met with Dustin, she was about to tell him that she wanted to take a step back, but she didn’t get the chance… Maxie says Lulu doesn’t have to relive it, and Lulu shows her the ring. She says, Dustin asked her to marry him, then the explosion happened. Dustin loved her so much, before he died, he asked Dante to give it to her. Maxie asks, if the explosion hadn’t happened, was Lulu going to say yes?

Peter asks Mac, off the record, any theories? Mac says, maybe faulty wiring. He and Felicia stay on top of things like that, but something could have gotten past them. Dante looks inside, and says, complete the mission, in his head. Mac asks if Dante is okay, and Dante says, it’s just a lot of destruction; it’s tough to look at. He left Maxie at GH with Lulu. Peter asks how Lulu is, and Dante says, she made it through; Dustin didn’t. Peter says, it’s terrible. Lulu must be devastated. Dante says, it’s pointless and unfair. Good people are gone, and people who deserve worse are walking around alive and well.

At the hospital, Carly asks if Sonny still hasn’t heard from Brando, and Sonny says he hasn’t. Carly says they need to find him. He has to hear it from one of them. Cyrus walks in with Brando, and sees Jason and Sonny. He’s obviously surprised.

Julian tells Ava, he was given a package with instructions to kill Jason. She asks if he’s saying the package on his doorstep was a bomb. He says he didn’t have a choice, and she says, that song again. He never has a choice. Maybe he still has time to get the package back. He says she doesn’t understand. It went off. It was just supposed to kill Jason. She asks if he put it in Jason’s car, and he says, it was in The Floating Rib. She says, that place is always packed. How is that possible? He says, Cyrus was supposed to lure Jason there alone, but that’s not how it turned out. Jason is alive, and his grandson was with him. He almost killed Danny too. Ava asks, what does he mean too? She grabs him, and says, who died tonight?

Valentin tells Alexis that he sees her pretending to be the Quartermaines’ butler to see her daughter, and raises her giving an innocent baby to Faison to raise. She says, good one, and flips through their makeshift cards. She says she sees Peter, and raises the man she loved holding a knife to her throat. He says he’d call that a draw, and she says she’ll drink to that. She just thought of something. It’s been 20 minutes since she touched her glass. Was that part of his plan? Sam comes in, and Alexis asks if Danny is okay. Sam says, Danny and Jason are fine. Jason left Danny at the Quartermaines before the explosion. She went to pick him up, but he was having such a good time with Annabelle II, she let him spend the night. Alexis suggests Sam just say she doesn’t want Danny to see her drunk. Sam says, the thought crossed her mind, and when she came in, there was Alexis, drink in hand. She should have known better than to leave her with Valentin. He brings out the worst in everyone, especially her.

Jason leads Sonny to an office, and Sonny asks, what’s the information Jason uncovered? Jason says it’s best for Sonny to hear it straight from the source. He opens the door, and Britt is waiting.

Lulu tells Maxie, Dustin was a great guy and she loved him, but if she’s honest, when Dustin offered her this beautiful ring, she was going to say no. Maxie says, because of Dante? and Lulu says, because of herself. As much as her life with Dante was over, the life she was building with Dustin was suddenly full of uncertainty. She thought they could take a break, and she could take the time to sit with everything, and figure out what her heart wanted. Maxie says she knows Dustin loved Lulu, and he was a great guy. More than anything, he wanted her to be happy. it’s not fair that he died, but if there’s a lesson, it’s that time is too precious to waste. Don’t wait to say how she feels. She might not get another chance. Don’t edit. Just tell Dante how she really feels.

Alexis tells Sam, please know that despite appearances, Valentin is a good friend. Sam says, with friends like him… and Valentin says he should go. Alexis asks him, please stay. Would he like to play another round? Sam looks at what they’re drinking, and says, tequila? Alexis says Sam hid the vodka. Guess how many she’s had? Valentin says he wants to see what she’s got for his entire life being used by someone, only to find out they were an evil twin. Alexis gets back in her seat, and says she sees his Anna and Alex, and raises him running down her daughter’s abusive boyfriend with her car. He folds.

Lucas looks at Brad’s chart, and says he had a close call. If the attacker had come from a different angle… He has an excellent prognosis. He’d say Brad is a lucky guy. Brad says, yeah; he’s a lucky guy. At least he used to be. Deanna pops in, and says Lucas is needed in the ER, and Lucas leaves.

Julian tells Ava, sorry. He doesn’t know who else was there. He stayed long enough to find out Jason and Danny were okay. She says he doesn’t know who else was hurt? and he says he thinks Trina’s friend, Dev. She says, Sonny’s cousin, and Julian says, he didn’t make it. She says Julian killed an innocent high school student. Who else is dead because of him? He says, nobody… that he knows of. They’ve got to go. If she doesn’t help him, he’s going to be the next to die.

Carly says Cyrus seemed surprised to see Sonny and Jason, but Cyrus says, no. He was just thinking how fortunate they were not to be at The Floating Rib. Such a tragedy. Carly asks if she can speak to Brando privately. It can’t wait; it’s a personal matter. Cyrus says if Brando needs a moment, he’ll step away, but Brando says, anything Carly can say to him, she can say in front of Cyrus. She says, Dev was at The Floating Rib, and Brando asks if he’s okay. She says, no, he’s not. He didn’t make it.

Jason closes the door, and tells Sonny, Britt was the one who called him away from The Floating Rib. Sonny says, good thing. Otherwise… She says she knows. The one time in her life that her timing was excellent. Jason tells Britt to tell Sonny what she told him, and Britt says, when Brad and Nelle switched Michael’s baby with Willow’s, they were working alone that night. Sonny says, that night? and Britt says, not long afterward, months before the truth came out, Brad asked for help in covering it up. Sonny says he needs a name, and Britt says, Julian.

Lulu tells Maxie, Dustin just died. Is Maxie telling her to run to Dante and confess her love? Maxie says, not this second, but soon. Lulu says she’d be honoring her feelings, but what about honoring Dustin? Maxie says if she loves Dante – which she already admitted – then she’ll say it. She could have died, and Dante would never know how she felt. Lulu says, as much as she loves Dante, there’s still all this pain. She can’t put herself and her family in that position again. Dante would have to guarantee he’ll never leave again. Maxie says she loves Lulu, but she’s asking for the impossible. If they learned anything tonight, it’s that nothing in life is certain.

Cyrus says he’s sorry for Brando’s loss. Take as much time as he needs. He leaves, and Brando sits with Carly. She asks if he’s okay, but he says he’s not sure. He and Dev barely knew each other, and he was pretending Dev was his son. He didn’t want to do it at first, but after a while, it was more than just building a pretend relationship. Dev would come to the garage, and ask him about girls, and tell him about his school life and stuff. Carly says, fatherly advice, and he says, yeah. She says, Dev knew he could count on Brando, and he says, damn. He’s going to miss Dev. Carly says she’s going to miss him too. She pats Brando’s shoulder. Cyrus watches, then sees Portia, and asks for a word. She says she’s so busy, she doesn’t have time to avoid him. He says he wants an update on the latest casualties, and she suggests he call the police or the mayor. She’s trying save lives. Every life is precious. She walks away, and Cyrus says he can think of an exception.

Julian says, if Cyrus finds out, Ava could have a problem, and she asks how he can threaten her after what he’s done. He says, it’s not a threat; he’s begging. She says, if Sonny finds out she helped him, she can kiss Avery goodbye, and probably her life. Julian’s phone dings, and he’s got a text from Cyrus, saying, we need to talk

Sonny says, Julian knew Wiley was Michael’s son, and didn’t say anything? Jason says, that explains why he took up with Nelle; she blackmailed him into marrying her. That must have been what he was doing on the docks. Nelle got her hands on Wiley because of Julian. Britt’s pager beeps, and she says she has to get back to work, but Jason says, tell Sonny what Brad said about who stabbed him. Sonny says, Brad was stabbed? and Britt tells him, Brad said the guy who did it worked for Cyrus. Sonny wonders how Cyrus is Brad’s enemy, and Britt says, the only person who would want Brad dead is Julian. Her pager beeps again, and she says she has to go. She leaves, and Jason tells Sonny, Cyrus must have gone after Brad as a favor to Julian.

Sonny lights a candle in the chapel, saying he hopes Dev finds peace. He tells Jason, he was praying, but couldn’t get his thoughts out. If Cyrus tried to take out Brad, what did he want in return? Jason says, there’s only one way to find out. He’ll find Julian.

Julian tells Ava, he’s a dead man. There are a thousand places he could hide at Windymere. She says, it’s the first place they’ll look, and he says he needs time to make a plan, then he promises he’ll vanish. He needs her help. She’s all he has left.

Carly tells Brando, only Dev could get arrested stopping a robbery. Then think he’d get out of lock up by telling the cops to call Sonny. Sonny asks if he heard his name, and Carly says they were talking about how Dev messing up a crime in progress was the way he met the family. Brando tells them, he was going say, that’s my boy. Sonny asks if Brando wants to talk, but he says he has to get back to work. Brando thanks them for telling him, and Sonny says, sorry for his loss. He leaves, and Carly says, Cyrus was very surprised to see Sonny and Jason. Sonny says, is that right? and she asks where Jason is. Sonny says, out getting answers, and she says, about what? He says, Julian.

Alexis sleeps on the couch, and Sam comes back downstairs. She says, Scout is fast asleep. It looks like she’s not the only one. Why is Valentin still there? He says he thought he’d check in before he left. Sam says, and tell her how he let Alexis drink after he forced his way into the intervention? He says he didn’t let Alexis do anything, and she says he didn’t stop her. He says he couldn’t stop her, but he slowed her down. Sam says, she’s passed out, but Valentin thinks she’s sleeping. Sam says Valentin will use anyone to get what he wants. He says, absolutely anyone, and Sam says, but whatever game he’s playing, it was a nice distraction. He used his evil powers for good. He says, don’t tell anyone, and she says she has no one to tell. She thanks him for staying, but he says he doesn’t need her gratitude. He leaves, and she covers Alexis with a blanket. She takes out her phone, and says, dammit, Jason. Where are you?

Britt tells Brad, she can’t stay, but wanted to see how it went with Lucas. He says, not good. He wanted to say so many things, but Lucas wouldn’t even look at him. She says he needs to give it time, and he says, assuming he has any left. She says he has plenty, and he asks how she knows that. She says she made a deal with Sonny. She offered him and Jason information in exchange for Brad’s protection. She told them about Julian, and how he knew the babies had been switched. He asks why she did that, and she asks if he’d rather she left him unprotected. He says, it’s not about him. How is Lucas going to take it when Sonny kills his father?

An officer brings Mac the preliminary report from the investigation. He looks at it, and says, damn. Someone did this on purpose.

Lulu is in the chapel, when Dante comes in. He says he got her text; is she okay? She says, thanks for meeting her. She had to talk to him in private. He asks if she’s been checked out yet, and she says, stop. She needs to tell him something. He says she can tell him in the privacy of her room, but she says, let her say it. She starts to cry, and says she loves him, then keels over into his arms.

Tomorrow, Cameron finds out about Dev, Jason says they need to know how it was planned, and Dante calls for help.

The Haves and The Have Nots

Alissa runs from David’s house, screaming, help me! David tells Leo, bring her back in, but Leo says he can’t ignore this. David asks Alissa if she’s lost her mind, and drags her back in, telling Leo, close the damn door. She bites David, and he throws her down, saying, crazy bitch. What the hell is wrong with her? She lies on the floor, laughing. She says, she got him, bitch, and he asks what the hell she’s talking about. She says, he did this. He took her sister away; he separated them. David asks if she’s crazy, and she says, now she’s got him. He says, all of this was about revenge, and she says he’s going to jail like all those people he put in there. He’s going down. She laughs.

We get jazzy new opening credits. And an ad for Tyler Perry’s Ruthless, which is having its season premiere on Thanksgiving Day, November 26th.

David says he knew Alissa was up to something, and she says she knew he couldn’t turn her down. He was too weak, and now she has vaginal bruising, and her arm; he did that. She’s sure the neighbors are calling the police. David suggests she call herself, but she says she doesn’t have her phone. He gives it to her, and tells her to call 9-1-1. The dispatcher answers, and David plays a recording of Alissa threatening him. She hangs up, and asks what that is. He says, rich people’s sh*t. He recorded her in every room. Would she like to see some video? She says, no, and he tells her to get her ass out of his house. She says he can’t blame a girl for trying, but he says he can blame a girl for being stupid. She says, sorry, and he says, get the hell out. She says she had to try. He took her sister from her. He says he was doing his job as a judge, but she says he separated them, leaving her and abandoning her. He killed her sister. Her sister’s blood is on his hands. He says he took her from an abusive situation. Her father was hurting her. She says her father hurting her was easier than everything else she went through. He can’t even say he’s sorry. He says, after what she did to him – tried to do to him… She says she needed him to feel like she did, and hurt like she did all these years. He says, too bad her plan didn’t work. He’s asking her one more time. Is she sure his ex-wife didn’t send her? She says she doesn’t know that bitch.

The police show up at David’s, and an officer tells Leo, they got a call about a woman screaming. Leo says, it’s under control, and the officer asks who he is. Leo says, security, and the officer asks for his ID. Leo shows him, and he asks, who’s inside? Leo says, the homeowner and a guest. The officer says, a lady? and Leo says, yeah. The officer says he needs to go in, and Leo tells David, who says, let him in. The officer says he got a call about a domestic disturbance, and David asks Alissa if she wants to tell him, or should he. She says she was acting. They were role playing; David likes to play kinky games. The officer asks if she’s okay, and she says, doesn’t she look okay? He’s kind of cute. Does he want to make sure she gets home safely? The officer tells them, keep the noise down, and David thanks him. When the officer is gone, David tells Leo to get her out, but she says, there’s no need. She knows where the door is. Can she at least have her shoes? He says, no; she’ll get them later. She says she’s sorry. She really is. She leaves, and Leo asks if David is okay. David says he knew she was up to something, and recorded her in every room. She changed her tune when he played back the audio. People can be so ruthless. (Nice plug.) Leo says he sees it more and more. David says he understands Leo’s reluctance to get involved, and Leo says, sorry. David says it’s Leo’s job to protect him. If it happens again, he’s fired. Leo says, it won’t. David’s son wanted him to tell David that he’ll be home in the morning. David says, Jeffrey was here? Did he know a girl was here? Leo says Jeffrey knew someone was there, but didn’t know it was her.

Police cars surround Wyatt’s car, lights flashing. An officer says, the car belongs to Jim Cryer, and his partner says, the guy who ran for governor. What the hell is wrong with the rich? The officer says, he checked the guy’s ID, and it says he’s Wyatt Cryer; he skipped from the hospital. His partner says, there’s an APB out on him, and he says, maybe he should have stayed in the hospital. His partner asks if Wyatt is dead, and the paramedic says, he has a pulse, but it’s faint. She says, he’s got nine lives, and the officer says, but they run out. Let the sheriff know they’ve got Wyatt. They thought he was dead, but the paramedic said he had a heartbeat. He’s taking Wyatt to the hospital. Let the chief know.

In the bedroom, Veronica pours drinks for herself and Samuel, who lies on the bed in his underwear. He says, damn, and she says she told him that she was that good. It’s called maturity. Young girls got no seasoning. He says she’s sexy as hell. He noticed the first time he saw her, but the sexiest thing she did was when she pulled that pistol. It turned him on. She says, he likes to live his life dangerously? and he says, 100%; he loves it. She says he’s her kind of man. She’s a ruthless bitch. He says, see? There it is. She’s turning him on right now. She says, let’s go, and he says, again? She laughs, and says, yes. She can go all night. She’ll teach him all about it someday. He asks if she’s not satisfied, and she says she’s just going to make him better. He gets up, and says he has to go; Laura has been texting him all night. She says, so? He’s so beautiful. He says, so is she, and she asks him turn around. He does, and she says, mommy and daddy must be proud. Why don’t they spend time together, with plan to eventually be together? He says he’s not leaving his wife, and Veronica says, what if she leaves him? He says, she’d never do that, and she asks if he’s sure. He says he is, and he has to go. Are they good? She says, get rid of her. That’s her job now. She tells him to take what he wants, and he says he did. She says she means the money. She knows he needs it. He says, it’s a set-up. if he takes the money, he’s in it for a short time. If he doesn’t, he’s in it for longer. She knows his game is long. He kisses her, and she sits on the bed. She tells him, go see little Miss Goody Two-Shoes. She has the feeling Laura is going to leave him soon. He says, it’s never going to happen, and leaves. Veronica says, a waste of her damn time. All that damn pretty for nothing. She knows that bastard stole some of this money. Why are the pretty ones so damn dumb?

Marty brings Don and John to the Cryers’ house to see Hanna. She clears the dining table, and they sit. Marty introduces Don and John as Kathryn’s accountants, and says they’ve come to fill her in on the businesses. John tells Hanna that Kathryn owns 64 properties, several of which are hotels, the Artisian being the biggest. She also owns a condo that Wyatt used to live in, and recently had them take it off the market because she has a guest there. Kathryn also has a stock portfolio that’s diversified, and worth $75 million, with a 4% return (wow). He tells her, they’re waiting for the quarterly reports, and need to know what to do. He asks if she’s following, and if she wants him to explain. She says she doesn’t need him to explain. Just give everything to her, and let her look it over. John says, as Kathryn’s advisors, they think she should sell. Hanna says she’ll look over, and he says they have to make a quick decision or it could cost Kathryn millions. They need an answer. Hanna is insistent, and says, once she sits and looks at it, she’ll tell him. John says, okay, and Hanna asks if there’s more. Don says Kathryn’s reported net worth is $286 million, and she needs to sign the finance status update. Hanna says, after she looks it over. Marty assures her it was examined thoroughly, and everything is in order, but Hanna says she hasn’t examined it. He asks how long she needs, and she says she’ll get back to them in 24 hours. Marty thinks they can work with that, and Hanna asks them to leave everything with her. Marty says he’ll call her later. Outside, Don asks, who the hell put the maid in charge? and John says, it was not a good idea. Don thinks Marty should talk to the Board, and John says he was surprised, but this is crazy. He thinks they should have a judge rule that she’s incompetent to protect Kathryn’s assets. She can’t be thinking clearly. Hanna was lost the entire time. Mary says, no. They’re just going to do what she asked. Don says Kathryn is still married to Jim. They could get him to go before a judge, and have her power of attorney revoked. John reminds him that Jim is still in the hospital, and Don says they have to do something.

Hanna watches them from the window. She goes back to the kitchen and opens her laptop. She says, shareholders…

Landon talks to his press connection Raven, and says he’ll give her Candace’s biggest story. Wait for her mother, and get quotes. Email her some questions. Raven asks if he’s tracking Hanna to find out where Candace is, and Landon says he’s a professional. She says Landon had a guy put on the no fly list because he was upset with him. Landon says, that was different. Just do it. She says he owes her big time. Everyone is talking about Candance. She doesn’t get it, but okay. He says, just do it. He didn’t get where is not knowing what he’s doing. She says she was told he got there from sleeping around. He says he’ll pretend she didn’t say that, and she says she’ll pretend he’s not offended. He’s a slut. Landon says, bye, and Oliver says they have the EPA reports and judicial nominees to deal with, and Landon is on the phone talking about Candace. Landon says he’s on the phone to make him (i.e. Charles) feel better. One day, Oliver will learn. Hopefully soon. If you make your boss happy, all else rides. Oliver asks if that’s a sexual reference, and Landon asks if that’s an annoying sound coming out of Oliver’s mouth. Olivier says, okay; he’ll do them alone. Landon says, it’s his job, and Oliver says he bets Landon wishes he could fire him. Landon asks why Oliver is so annoying. He’s in Landon’s face, bickering, trying to one-up him. Oliver says he’s doing his job, and Landon says he’s Oliver’s superior. Go sit in the other room; he’s done with Oliver. Oliver says he’s being put in time out? and Landon says, forever. He asks how long Oliver has had a cocaine problem, and Oliver asks what the hell Landon is talking about. Landon says, sometimes Oliver is calm, and sometimes he’s over-the-top. Sometimes he can see the glassiness in Oliver’s eyes. Keep it up, and everyone will know. Oliver says he doesn’t have a cocaine problem, and leaves. Landon says, bitch.

When Hanna gets home, she sees a woman outside. The woman introduces herself as Lisa, saying she just moved in. Does Hanna mind if she borrow a cup of sugar? Hanna says, people really do that? and she says, they do. Hanna says she just stopped home, but she has to get back to work. She’ll see what she’s got. Lisa asks if she can help, and Hanna says, no. Lisa asks if she’s sure, and Hanna says, sorry, where does she live? She says, next door, and Hanna says, that’s Mrs. Hill’s house. Lisa says she’s her daughter, and Hanna asks, what’s Mrs. Hill’s first name? Lisa says, umm… and Hanna says, uh-uh. Hanna doesn’t know who she is, and wants her to get her ass away before she calls the police. What is she trying to pull? The woman says, nothing, and Hanna asks, who is she and what does she want? The woman says she should have known she couldn’t pull anything over on Hanna. Her name is Raven and she’s a reporter in Washington. Is it true Hanna’s daughter lost her son, and Hanna tried to shield him? Is it true her daughter’s father is a rapist? Is it true she’s a horrible mother, and kicked Candace out at 14? Can she get some answers? Hanna goes inside.

Kathryn says she can’t believe she’s still in this cell, and the woman in the next cell says, believe it. Kathryn asks if anyone is talking to her, and the woman says she’s talking to Kathryn. Kathryn tells her, shut up, and the woman says Kathryn should be glad she’s in a cell by herself, and calls her princess. Kathryn says the woman doesn’t scare her, but the woman says Kathryn will need a bitch like her when she gets to prison. She’s going to wish for this place. Kathryn says she’s not going to prison, and the woman tells her, if you say so. Kathryn is going to need her. Kathryn asks, why is that? and the woman says she’s got answers and Kathryn’s got money; they match. Kathryn needs her. Kathryn sees Kendrick, and the guard tells her, they found Wyatt. He’s in the hospital. He tried to commit suicide. She says she knows, but he says, the first time, the wounds were superficial. This time, they’re deep. He was found in a car on the side the road. He’s so sorry. She says she needs to speak to her lawyer, but Kendrick says, sorry. She says, how much? She’ll have his salary in the bank in the morning. Just help her now. She knows he can use the money. He says he can’t do that; it’s not right. Kathryn says, in life, there are a lot of things that are just not right. Please help her. He says he’ll consider it, but not for the money. He could lose his job. She says she needs to get help for her son. Please let her call her lawyer. He says, the chief leaves at shift change. He’ll come back, and try to get her to a phone.

Samuel calls Derrick from the car, and Derrick asks, what’s up? Samuel says he needs Derrick to cover for him, but Derrick says he already did. Laura called. Where was he? Samuel says, at Regina’s, and Derrick says, no he wasn’t. She called too. Samuel says, damn, and Derrick says, tell him what’s going on. Samuel says he met a new chick. Derrick knows how it is. Derrick asks how it’s going with Veronica, and Samuel says he’s making good moves to get her. Laura is making progress too. Derrick asks if he’s sure he’s not messing around, and Samuel says, with that old broad? Derrick says, she’s dangerous, and Samuel says, Derrick told him that. Derrick says he’s telling Samuel again. Be careful. Samuel says he hears Derrick. Let him get home. Derrick says, they went to Mickey’s.

Laura hears Samuel’s key in the lock, and when he comes in, she asks where he’s been. He says, with Derrick; they had some drinks. She says he didn’t have his phone, and he says, the game was on. She knows how he gets watching the game. She says she does know; that’s why she’s asking questions. Why isn’t he asking any? Well? Doesn’t he see her standing there in sexy-ass lingerie? He says, sorry. She looks good. She says she’s horny, come on, but he says he’s tired. She says, from watching the game? and he says he’s been working all day. She says she’s the one who’s been working. See? He says he bets Veronica gave her this, meaning the lingerie, and says, it’s a turn-off. She asks if he doesn’t think she looks sexy, and he says if he wanted Veronica there, he’d have invited her to the house. Laura says she’ll take it off. Samuel says he just wants to shower. Sorry.

As she’s about to go into the Cryers’ house, Hanna’s phone rings. She says, Candace? but it’s Al. She says, sorry. Her screen is cracked. He says she can afford to get a new one since she’s executor. Hanna says, it’s not her money, and it’s not even funny to suggest. He says, sorry. He called to hear how it went. She says she hasn’t slept. She was blindsided when the accountants came to the house. He asks if there’s anything he can do, but she says, no. It went okay, but to be honest, she came out with more questions than answers. He says he can walk her through it, but she says she’s supposed to meet with her boss, and Kathryn will give her the information she needs. He says, too bad. He was looking for a reason to see her. She says she doesn’t know if that’s possible. She knows he’s interested in taking her out, and thanks him, but says, sorry; she’s just distracted. She asks if she can call him back.

Landon goes through the states with Oliver, who says, so far, they’re on track. Landon’s phone rings, and it’s Raven. He asks how it went, and she says she pissed Hanna off. He thanks her, and says he’ll give her the story first. She says she didn’t believe that girl went through all that, but when she asked Candace’s mother, she showed it all. Landon says, it worked. Oliver says, what worked? and Landon says, his plan to have Candace’s mom call her. Oliver says, what? and Landon says, never mind. Oliver says, they hate each other, and Landon asks how he knows that. Oliver says he knows a lot about her. Landon asks how Oliver knows something he doesn’t, and Oliver says he’s deeply connected. Landon says he knows Candace and her mother have issues, but hate is a strong word. Oliver says, hate is what it is. Charles pops in, looking disheveled, and asks for a moment with Landon. Oliver leaves, and Landon says they tried be quiet. Did they wake him? Charles says he had a dream about her. Landon asks if he’d care to share, and Charles says, she was in flames and he couldn’t… Landon says, save her? but Charles says, no; too literal. There was a bear and a mountain. Landon asks what Charles ate before he went to bed, and Charles says, very funny. Landon thinks Charles just misses her, and Charles says he does. Landon suggests Charles call her, and Charles says, and get venom in the heart? Landon says, she’s calming down, and Charles asks if he’s talked to her. Landon says he has, and Charles asks what she said. Landon says, she told him to tell Charles that she can’t stand that bastard. Tell that bitch-ass… Charles says, punk-ass… They trade insults back and forth, and Charles pretends to be mad, asking Landon if he thinks sh*t is funny. Landon looks all serious, and Charles says he’s kidding. He tells Landon to go and see her. Make sure she’s okay. Landon says he’ll gladly do that.

Hanna looks back and forth, from the laptop to the documents, and makes notes. She hears the front door open, and asks, who’s there? She sees Derrick, and he says, Hanna.

Next time, Hanna takes out a knife, David tells Jim to look into getting control of Kathryn’s estate, Jeffrey tells Wyatt nothing has changed, and Wyatt says he doesn’t want to be friends with Jeffrey anymore.

🗡 People Can Be So Ruthless…

I’ve never seen this show, but it sounds good. I guess they figure everyone will be home for Thanksgiving.

🦃 Almost Turkey Time…

While I’m perfectly fine not traveling on or before Thanksgiving, since it’s an absolute nightmare, it sux for the people who want to. Some will be doing it anyway, but just don’t bring anything back except leftovers. Hold back on those hugs, and perfect your elbow bump. Stay safe, stay masked during eating off-times, and stay knowing that time is precious and nothing in life is certain.
