What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts, recaps, and the whole GH enchilada on Fridays)

General Hospital

Stella meets Tracy at the park, and Tracy says, in her book, on time is five minutes early. Punctuality is a principle she holds dear, and if Stella doesn’t agree, maybe they need to rethink their arrangement. Stella asks who Tracy thinks she’s talking to.

James goes to the stables and Sasha tells him to have fun with his Uncle Cody. Cody says, fun is his middle name.

Drew tells Ned that Valentin is wanted by the FBI. His assets have been seized and it’s not going to look good for ELQ. Ned agrees, and Drew says he wishes Ned had been in agreement when he teamed up with Valentin. They need a less controversial CEO. He can’t do it, so that leaves one person. Ned says, me, and Drew says, Michael.

Sidwell says, it would be easy to kill them all, but he wants to make it more interesting. He’ll give them a chance to keep breathing. Jason asks, what’s the game? and Sidwell says, three players. If Jason wins, he and Anna live. If Lucky’s name is accurate, he and Holly will live. If he wins, they all die. No matter what happens, he can’t lose. Holly says, this is insane. Kill them if he wants to, but not her.

Tracy asks Stella if she was harsh. Timeliness is important to her. Stella says, her too, but there was an accident on Bellmont… She’s not explaining herself. She doesn’t buy that Tracy is this angry because she was late. Tracy asks what she’s angry about then, and Stella says, you tell me. Tracy says her mood has nothing to do with Stella being late. Two staff members were insubordinate and ill-mannered, and she’s annoyed about it. The cook took it upon herself to throw an elaborate brunch for another family at their boathouse and the stable hand was involved. Stella says, that is rude. Some people have no work ethic anymore, throwing a party on the job. Tracy says, the cook wasn’t on the clock. It was her day off. Stella says, it’s a shame about the stable hand, but Tracy says, it was his day off too. Stella says she’s confused. What’s the problem? Tracy says, their blatant disregard for her. Sasha got huffy and defiant, and Cody chimed in on her behalf. Stella says, problems are like onions. You’ve got to pull back the layers to get to the root. She knows what this is really about, and bets Tracy does too.

James asks if Cody is happy to be part of their family, and Cody says, the happiest. James says he can’t believe Grandpa Mac is Cody’s dad, and Cody says he can’t believe it either. He learned to be okay with being alone and leaned into the cool parts, but having a family who he cares about and who cares about him is a lot cooler.

Maxie thanks Sasha for the brunch, and Sasha says, it was fun until Tracy. Maxie says, that was a lot of hot air over a quiche. She was checking for updates on Lulu. She’s getting worse and needs a transplant now. Sasha says she’s sorry. She knows they were close. Maxie says, Lulu is her best friend. Always has been and always will be.

Drew says, Michael is the obvious choice, and Ned tells him, says who? Who authorized him to choose? Drew says he’s a member of the family, and Ned says, he made that clear when he changed his name before his run for office. Drew says he makes no apologies, and Ned never apologized for making Valentin CEO. Ned asks if the initials SEC mean anything to Drew, and Drew says, they need to replace Valentin with Michael. Ned asks why he should support that, and Drew says, because he’s a team player. He’s supporting the family over his personal interests. Michael and Willow walk in, and Michael asks if they’re interrupting.

Holly says she doesn’t know what these people are doing and doesn’t care. She’s not involved. He’s the one who persuaded her to leave Monte Carlo, and now she’s going to be killed if someone doesn’t win a game. Sidwell says he enjoyed his time with her, but doesn’t trust her. She knew these people and didn’t tell him. She says she explained why, but he says he doesn’t like people who keep secrets. He tells the guards to get the women out and secure Lucky and Jason. He asks if they’re ready to play for their lives.

Tracy asks if it isn’t premature for Stella to presume she knows what Tracy means, and Stella says, they’re more alike than Tracy wants to admit. It all boils down to one thing. How Tracy feels about Cody.

James asks if Sasha is part of their family because she’s Cody’s girlfriend, and Cody says, some people have a hard time believing in themselves. Sasha believed in him when he couldn’t and talked him into it. James says he believes in Cody. How can he not believe in himself? Cody says, James wrote the book on cool, but James says he hates writing. Cody tells him, it’s just a saying. For the record, Sasha is part of his family. James says, then she’s part of his too, and they get ready to go for a ride.

Holly and Anna are put in a cell, and Anna looks around. Holly says, she won’t find anything, and Anna asks if she’s supposed to sit around waiting to die. The whole reason they came was to bring Lucky home to save Lulu, but that only happens if he lives. If he wins, that means Jason can’t win. She finds a paper clip and starts to work the lock. She says, that means she’s a dead woman. Why didn’t Holly help Lucky escape when she found him? Holly asks how she would know Lulu needed a transplant. She was two months into the most odious con, and two weeks was all she needed. She would have had millions of dollars, but instead, they show up, and now their lives are at risk. Anna says, Holly always survives. She needs to ask Holly a favor. When she gets out, go to Robert and asks him to tell their daughter how much she loves her. Holly says, Anna is such a bitch. Anna knows she can’t go to Robert and tell him that she left her to die. Anna says she doesn’t see what choice Holly has. Unless Holly has a magic Get Out of Jail Free card, she’s screwed.

Sidwell says he’ll do the honors, and shuffles the cards. A guard whispers something to him, and he says, something requires his attention. In case they think of doing anything stupid, there are guards outside. He leaves, and Lucky asks what Jason and Anna are doing here. Jason says, they’re here to take him home.

Drew says he was filling Ned in on his idea for Michael to take over as CEO, and Ned says, it was more like a mandate. Drew says, does Michael have time to join them? and Willow says, it’s fine. She’ll see him at the boathouse. Michael says, if they miss their reservation, he’ll make it up to her, and she says she knows. She leaves, and Michael says he takes it Ned’s not on board, and Drew says, Ned’s creating conflict where there is none. They need to get ELQ on solid ground and it’s easier if they’re on the same page. Ned says, it’s always two against one, and Drew says, Ned’s right. Ned says, that’s a first, and Drew says, no more two against one. He’s confident they’ll figure it out on their own. He leaves, and Michael says he doesn’t have an agenda. He just wants to do what’s best for the family. Ned says he believes Michael. It’s not Michael he doesn’t trust. It’s Drew.

Tracy asks if Stella is suggesting she’s harboring romantic feelings for Cody. If so, she’s ready too many trashy novels. Stella says she’s not saying that… Not that she would blame Tracy. They’ve been meeting for several months and it’s clear by how much she talks about Cody, that they’ve become close. He even took her out on the lake in that old rowboat. They confide in each other. She was one of the first people Cody told when he found out Mac was his real father. Tracy says she’s mentioned him more than she realized, and Stella says, he’s a good friend and now he’s reunited with his family and he’s with Sasha. Tracy is afraid of losing him. And why not? Look at where they are. She points to Gregory’s plaque on the bench, and Tracy says, it’s been a difficult year. She hasn’t spoken to Finn in months. Stella says, another good friend. Loss is hard. Tracy says, losing Gregory was harder. He was one of her closest confidents. And there’s Luke. She misses him most of all. Luke, Finn, and Gregory were all so compelling, especially Luke. They’re very different, but Cody reminds her of him. Maybe she just wants to see that, but she thinks they share a lot of the same qualities. Stella says, it’s safe to say he’s important to her, and Tracy says she couldn’t stand another relationship slipping away.

Lucky says he appreciates the effort, but Jason says he doesn’t understand. Lucky says, just get himself and Anna out. Sidwell talks a big game, but he’s not going to kill him or Holly. Jason says, there’s no time. Lulu had a medical crisis and needs a liver transplant. Lucky is her best shot at a donor and has to get home as soon as possible. Sidwell comes back and says, apologies. Now, where were we?

Stella says she’s sorry about Luke, Gregory, and Finn, and Tracy says, at least Finn is still alive. Stella says, but he’s not present in the way Tracy wishes he was. Grief isn’t linear. There are ups and downs, twists and turns. Tracy says, her own personal roller coaster. She wants to get off the ride now. Stella says, you think you’re making progress and you’re at peace, then out of nowhere, it hits like a ton of bricks. Tracy says, it sounds like she’s speaking from experience, and Stella says, a few weeks ago, she heard My Girl. She and Irene used to play it over and over, and dance and sing for hours. She was in her car and just lost it. She’s convinced, the deeper the love, the longer the journey. Tracy says, there’s no bond like siblings. She had a brother. He drove her crazy like nobody else. Why get involved with people when you’re just going to lose them? Stella says, everything Tracy feels is normal. Although maybe she should temper her reaction. Tracy says she guesses she owes Sasha an apology, and Stella says, that’s a good place to start. Tracy says she’s sorry for scolding Stella. It’s not going to happen again… if there is an again. Stella asks if Tracy doesn’t recognize a good friend sitting next to her. She’s not a compelling man, but she is a compelling woman if she does say so herself. Tracy says she has to agree.

Ned says he gets that Michael is in it for the family and sees he’s willing to put aside what he wants for the greater good. Michael says, but Ned doesn’t think Drew is, and Ned says he knows Drew isn’t. Michael says, no one has come through for the family more than Drew, and Ned says, they’re grateful, but Drew is a Quartermaine through and through. He wasn’t always like he is now, but maybe his struggles changed him. He knows Drew is out for himself and will take what he wants. Michael says he’s never seen anything to indicate that, but Ned says, keep his eyes open. Just because Michael’s intentions are pure doesn’t mean Drew’s are. He’ll never fully trust Drew, and if Michael is smart, he won’t either. He leaves.

Creeper Drew goes to the boathouse, and Willow asks what he’s doing here. He says he could tell she was upset and wanted to say he’s sorry. He didn’t mean to ruin her night with Michael. She says, it doesn’t matter. She’s continually asked him to stay away, but he doesn’t care. He says, of course (🍷) he does, and she says she has feelings for him that are jeopardizing her marriage, and it makes her feel like absolute crap. He says she doesn’t want her to feel that way, and she says, then stop running into her and checking on her. She needs him to leave her alone.

Sidwell says he’ll put down first, and lays his cards out. Lucky puts his down, but Jason folds. Sidwell tells the guards to take Jason and bring Holly back. Jason’s loss is English’s gain. She always lands on her feet. Give his condolences to Anna. It was pleasure playing cards with him. Lucky says he’s sorry, and Jason says, get home safe. The guards lead him out, and Sidwell says, for a savvy card player, Jason is naïve. Lucky’s not going anywhere.

Maxie sees Ned and says she has papers for Tracy and Brook. He asks if it’s Deception business, and she says, it is. She asks if he can keep an eye on James. One time, the lake; two times, a disappearing act. Ned says he’s got it, and Maxie says she won’t take long. Good luck. Ned asks, what’s new? and James asks if Ned kisses people on the lips. Ned laughs and says he does, but only one person, his wife Olivia. James says, kissing his mom makes Spinelli happy. Why would one kiss make Willow sad?

Cody tells Sasha that he and James talked about her and how grateful he is to have her in his life. James asked if she was part of his family. He hopes he wasn’t out of turn saying yes. She says, nothing would make her happier, and they kiss.

Holly says she’ll never forget the day Anna showed up, the woman from Robert’s past. Anna was awful. Her marriage to Robert was the sweetest time of her life. She thinks she knew in her heart something that special can’t last. Anna says she remembers how at peace and content Robert was with Holly. She guesses she felt bad about getting in the middle of that. She thinks Holly made Robert happy in a way she never did. Holly says, Robert will never be happy again if she lets Anna die here, but she can’t figure out how to prevent it. Anna says she doesn’t think Holly can, but Holly says she told Anna, no way is she going back to Robert and telling him that she left Anna here to die. The guards bring Jason in, and one of the guards punches him in the stomach just because. They take Holly, and Anna says, tell Robert to tell her, but Holly says, don’t give up. Jason says he’s sorry. He lost the game. Anna shrugs and says she knew he would.

Sidwell wonders what Jason’s hand was and Lucky looks at the cards. He says, a losing one, and Sidwell says, Lucky’s trend continues. Lucky says, they did what he wanted. They played his sick game and now two people are going to die. Sidwell says, that doesn’t mean the deal changed. If Lucky loses… Lucky asks if he’s not bored, but Sidwell says, not even a little bit. Lucky says he thinks it’s time they shake things up, put in something for him. They play a hand and if he wins, he goes free. Holly is brought back, and Sidwell tells the guard to take the other two to the courtyard. He welcomes Holly back, and she says she’s glad that unpleasantness is behind them. She’ll forgive him this once. Since they’re still playing, she’ll go to her room. Sidwell tells her to stay and tells Lucky that he’s right. It’s high time they reset the terms.

Cody knocks everything off the table, and he and Sasha start to get busy. Tracy clears her throat, and they see her standing in the doorway. (Why do they continually leave this door open?)

On the phone, Michael says he’s off the grid for the rest of the night. He has plans with his wife. Maxie walks in and says, he makes his family priority. She wonders how he’s not pulled in different directions. She’s having a hard time, and she only works for one company. He says, there’s nothing more important than Willow and the kids, and she says, Spinelli usually gets the short end of the stick, but he’s patient and kind about it. She hereby declares she’s making her relationship a priority. Michael suggests a standing date night. Twice a month minimum, one a week if they can swing it. She says, they’re both lucky they found their person.

Willow says, please just go, and Drew says he will, but he wants her to know that he understands. He’s going through the same thing. She says, he’s not married. He’s amazing and her heart races when she sees him. It puts what matters at risk and she wishes she could make it go away, but she’s having trouble. He can help. He helped her in Greenland. Help her now. Stay away from her. Please. He leaves.

James asks if sad and guilty are the same, and Ned says, sometimes. James asks what guilty means, and Ned says, it means you feel bad about something and wish you hadn’t done it. He’s confused. What does that have to do with Willow and a kiss? James says he heard Willow tell Aunt Nina that she felt guilty for kissing Drew. (Rut-roh. Congratulations, Ned. You’re the new CEO of ELQ!)

Jason says, Sidwell is going to kill them, and Anna says, he made that clear. He says, their only chance is to jump them, but she says, they’re armed. She has to get the cuffs off of him. She can’t go after them alone. He picks up the paper clip and she works at the cuffs, but she says, it’s not working. It’s not strong enough. It’s just bending. She can find a nail. She searches the bed, and says, if she can get it out… Frustrated, she lifts the bed and it bangs on the floor, and Jason says, just try again. She starts to cry and says she can’t do it. He tells her, stop, and she says, sorry. This is it, isn’t it? They’re going to die in here tonight. She hugs him, and it looks like they’re about to kiss, but they’re distracted by a door clanging. Jason listens for a moment, then kisses Anna. (I wrack my brain trying to remember if they’ve ever been involved.)

Sidwell says, Lucky isn’t just playing to keep himself alive. Holly lives as long as Lucky continues to win. Holly says she refuses, and Sidwell asks if she thinks she has a say. She smacks his face and says, he brought her to this hellhole just to be part of his sad game. He grabs her and says, does she think he didn’t know she was after his diamonds? Does she think he’d let her cheat him? She grabs his gun and tells him not to lay his hands on her. And don’t think of calling the guards. She asks if Lucky can get free, and he says he’s way ahead of her, already out of the cuffs and leg irons. He asks where Anna and Jason are, and she says, they’re in the same cell he was. Sidwell knocks the gun out of her hand.

Tomorrow, Cody says, Tracy should know if she does, he’s going too; Robert tells Diane, don’t be too sure on that; Brennan tells Carly that he’ll do as much as he can, the rest is up to them; and Sonny says he would have hoped Martin would make that happen.

🧼 At the Starting Gates…

This sounds pretty good. Doubtful I’ll watch it during its daytime slot, but I’m sure it will stream as well. Could this mean daytime is taking a turn for the soap? Premiering on CBS in early 2025.

🍊 Ti Many Martoonies For Tamra…

Fancy Pants couldn’t figure out why it was two steps forward with Gina and Emily, and said there was a piece of the puzzle missing. Yeah, the piece that’s Heather’s ego. She and Terry got in a little spat, which was interesting. He was annoyed with her talking over him (ugh, same, I hate that), and told her not to admonish him on camera. They tried to hide from the camera when they had that conversation, but Andy sees all.

Johnny J. wouldn’t settle the suit with Shannon (try saying that three times real fast) because he wouldn’t sign an agreement not to say bad things about her. I’m still confused as to who asked for this in the first place, since I thought this whole thing started because she was talking smack about him. Alexis said he’d lost everything, and it was all coming out tomorrow. While we assumed she meant the videos, which he admitted keeping for blackmail purposes (!), it was just an article in the press about the lawsuit, which is par for the course. Shannon butt-dialed Tamra, who heard her wailing about it and saying she thought Alexis’s PR team was behind it.

Katie was having a couples’ dinner party so husband Matt could make friends. It was funny when Katie listed the names of the guests for Matt. I got the feeling they went right back out of his head the second she said them. Ryan had gone on a podcast and trashed Eddie, and Shane wondered if there was going to be a boxing match. I like Shane. He seems normal. In her interview, Katie said, just be kind around the wineglasses. Emily said, Fancy Pants wasn’t invited because she didn’t acknowledge Katie’s existence, but Terry had just undergone surgery to fix his snoring nose, so that could have actually been why. Gina was away, and Katie said she didn’t want Shannon feeling like a ninth wheel, although I’m pretty sure Shannon would still be offended at not getting an invite. Especially since she was whining about being all alone… except she had Archie… sniff… Hey, you can do worse than a dog. When Eddie asked if there were name tags at the table, Emily said he was by Ryan. I literally lol’d and even Eddie had to laugh. Yeah, if I was going to hang out with anybody IRL, it would be Emily and Shane.

Tamra kept downing martinis, and in her interview, Jenn said the last time Tamra got drunk like this, she (Jenn) had a napkin thrown in her face, and we flashed back to that. They discussed Alexis being looney toons and this led to Emily weeping over the whole dress thing again. It’s a shame Emily still feels like she’s overweight. She doesn’t seem to understand that the size number doesn’t matter. Even at my thinnest, my waist only gets so small. Tamra wanted to talk about the elephant in the room, or as Emily put it, the two big elephants. Because you should always discuss these things at a dinner party. At least in Housewifeland. This led to Tamra and Ryan arguing about his love of married women. Eddie kept trying to get her to shut up, while the other husbands looked at the sky, the grass, or their drinks. It didn’t take long for Tamra’s vocal register to hit screech level, and she ended up stumbling out of the party by herself, saying, I’m done.

February 13, 2023 – Willow Meets Her Great Aunt, That Question, Insubordination On Deck, Respect & Funny

Standard

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Sam and Dante make it to London, and immediately get busy in their hotel room.

Willow says she wants to be Michael’s wife for as long as she can, and he says he wants that too. He asks if she wants to get married in the hospital, but she says, absolutely not.

Obrecht gets in the elevator with Carly, and after it starts moving, she presses the stop button. She says, alone at last.

Josslyn wonders if Dex is a wedding crasher or on the guest list, but he says, Sonny wanted him there for security. She says, he looks good enough to blend in, and he asks if he looks good enough to be seen with her – if they could be seen together. She says she hates that he works for Sonny a little less today.

Nina thanks Sonny for giving her the kick in the pants she needed. It’s great to be here, celebrating Curtis. He says he’s proud of her, and knows she’s nervous about Willow, but she says she can’t tell him how much it means to her to have him by her side.

Spencer tells Trina that she looks beautiful, and says he was surprised when she texted him. It was generous of her mother, especially considering Portia’s opinion of his family. He can’t say she’s wrong. His father continues to live down to his expectations. Zeke comes in with Sterling, and says, if it isn’t his gorgeous niece. He asks who her friend is.

Laura comes in, startling Ava, and Ava says her mind was elsewhere. Laura asks if she’s thinking of Nikolas.

Drew says, it’s not an act; Curtis is actually not nervous. Curtis says there’s nothing to be nervous about. They have history, and they’re definitely in love. He and Portia are a sure thing.

Portia tells Jordan that she and Curtis are getting married, and it’s what they both want, but Jordan asks how she can say that when Curtis doesn’t have all the information. It’s very likely Trina is his daughter. Portia says she’s not doing this today. Stay out of her business. She wants Jordan to leave, but Jordan says, it’s not her who Portia has to worry about. Stella knows her secret too.

Obrecht says it’s her chance to eviscerate Carly for her monstrous treatment of Nina. She calls herself a mother? No one worthy of that title would deprive another woman of her child. She can forgive Carly about Nelle. Nelle was deeply troubled, and Carly didn’t know she was Nina’s until after Nelle perished. But Willow, month after month of keeping that secret, and now might be the only time she and Nina get to have as mother and daughter. Carly robbed them from it, and as much as she hates Carly for it, she prays Carly never experiences that kind of pain.

Willow says she doesn’t want to marry Michael in this room or the hospital chapel. Their love is so much more beautiful than the lights, smells, and sounds there. He says, wherever she wants, he’ll make it happen, and she says, there’s a huge chance she’s going to die. She refuses to spend whatever time she has left in this bed. She wants to be with their children, and go to sleep with him lying next to her, without a machine beeping away the second like a ticking time bomb. She wants to go home.

Sam jumps out of the bed, and Dante asks where she’s going. She says, if she gets back in, they’re going to end up making love, which means they’ll probably fall asleep because they’re jet-lagged, and they need to be out there looking for Esme’s nanny. He says, in the hopes they get pointed in the direction of the killer, and she says, there’s her detective boyfriend. He says he’d rather be in bed with her, and she says, later. After they find Maggie Fitzgerald. He asks, what happens if they strike out? and she guesses he strikes out too. He says, they’d better get to work then.

Trina introduces Spencer to Sterling and Zeke, the coolest uncle ever. They shake hands, and Sterling asks if Portia is nervous, but Trina says, just excited. She can’t wait to marry Curtis.

Portia asks exactly what Stella knows, and Jordan says, that she and Trina both had a close match on the ancestry website; someone in Port Charles. Then Stella’s match disappears at the same exactly time Trina takes herself off the website. Portia says, that doesn’t prove anything, and Jordan says, maybe not, but it was enough to convince Stella. Portia says, Stella’s not sick. She didn’t officiate the wedding because she knows Portia could be lying to Curtis. And it’s all Jordan’s fault. She wanted this to happen. She kept pushing and prying. Why couldn’t Jordan just leave her alone? Jordan says she’s a cop. Something didn’t add up, so she investigated. Portia says she’s warning Jordan for the millionth time, stay out of her business. Jordan asks why Portia thinks she didn’t say anything. She knows it’s not her secret to tell, but Stella… Portia tells her, Stella’s not going to say anything either.

Ava tells Laura that she can’t help but think of Nikolas with regret. She really wanted their marriage to work. Laura says, of course (🍷) Ava did. She did too. Ava says, it took Laura a while to come around, but she’s not going to dwell on it. Today is about Portia and Curtis, and she’s so happy for them. Laura says she is too.

Nina says, here’s the man of the hour, and she and Curtis hug. He says he’s glad Sonny could make it, and Nina asks how he feels. Curtis says his great day just got even better now that she’s here. It means a lot. She says she’s glad to be here.

Terry asks if Finn has heard from Elizabeth. She texted that she was on her way, but it was a while ago, and now Terry’s kind of worried. Finn says, don’t worry, and points, as Elizabeth walks in.

Josslyn says, on one hand, she was hoping Sonny and Nina would be no-shows, so she didn’t have to deal with them today, and Dex says, on the other hand? She says, he’s here, and he asks how she’s been. She says, it’s a mixed blessing. Her baby niece has a name – Amelia. The bad news is, the doctors wanted to use the stem cells from the cord blood, but they couldn’t harvest enough. He says he’s sorry, and asks, what’s the next step? She says, there’s still a chance for the bone marrow registry, but the chances are slim, and Willow’s getting weaker every day. He takes her hand, but drops it when Trina and Spencer come out. Spencer asks what Dex is doing here, but Trina says, let’s walk. He says, Dex didn’t answer his question, and Josslyn asks why he cares. Spencer asks if Dex is with her, but Josslyn says, Sonny posted him here for security. Spencer says, it’s a good excuse to hang around Josslyn, not that she cares now that she’s a free woman, and Trina asks why he’s doing this. Josslyn says, because he wants to fight. Normally, she’d give him one, but they’re at Trina’s mother’s wedding. Trina says, which she needs to get back to, and asks Spencer to come with her. He says he’ll be there in a moment, and tells Dex, no one wants you here, dude. Dex tells him, dude, like Miss Jax said, he’s working.

Laura says she’s happy to see Elizabeth, but Elizabeth says, not happier than she is to see Laura. When she’s with Laura, Laura makes her feel like everything is going to be okay. Laura asks if something is wrong, and Elizabeth says, nothing that can’t wait until tomorrow. Today is about love, and she intends to enjoy every minute of it.

Sonny says, it’s big of Taggert to show, but Taggert says, selfish reasons. The Hook is still out there, and he wants to make sure his daughter is okay. Sonny says he’s got his people looking out for things, and Taggert guesses for once, he’s grateful. They shake hands.

Molly says she’s sorry she’s late, but TJ says, they still have plenty of time. She says, it looks so beautiful in here, and he says, it’s a little different from their Domestic Partnership ceremony. She says, just a little bit, and he says, any regrets? She says, of course (🍷) not. What they have is all she could ever want.

Portia tells Jordan, if anyone can keep a secret, it’s Aunt Stella. Look how many years she hid the fact Marshall was alive, and she did it for the family. She’ll do the same this time. Jordan says, even if Stella stays silent, can Portia really walk down the aisle with this hanging over her? How long before she breaks? Portia says she’s carried it this far, and Jordan says, and maybe will indefinitely, but life happens. What if Trina needs her complete family medical history at some point, or decides to look into this whole DNA match herself? Portia says, or what if none of that ever happens? That would be Jordan’s worst nightmare, wouldn’t it? Because the man she still loves would be getting married and living his happily ever after with someone else. Jordan says, Portia is right. She does still love Curtis. She wants him to be happy, and he’s happy with Portia. She wants this marriage to work, which is why she’s begging Portia to tell Curtis the truth, that Trina might be his daughter. If she does it before the wedding, it gives them a fighting chance, but if Curtis finds out later on his own, Portia will lose him just like she did. Jordan leaves.

Carly says, this must be especially triggering for Obrecht, given she just lost her daughter, and Obrecht says, people keep reminding her that Britt died a hero, and Carly flashes back to thanking God that Josslyn is alive, and Josslyn saying, Britt saved her life, and it cost her her own. Obrecht says, yes, of course (🍷) it’s a small consolation, knowing Britta gave her life courageously, but she’d rather have her daughter here. Carly says she’s so sorry, and Obrecht says, if she means that, help her niece.

Michael says he’ll talk to Dr. Randolph about getting Willow released, but she’s at a wedding right now. Willow says she can wait a few hours, even until tomorrow if necessary, but that’s it. She wants out of here. She wants to go home and be with their son and daughter, and plan their wedding. He kisses her hand, and says, that sounds good to him. He asks what it looks like, and she says, when they were first married, it was in his family’s living room. Maybe they could do it there again. He says his family would be thrilled; they love her. She says, so they’re agreed. He’ll take her home.

Drew asks if they should get this show on the road, but Curtis says, there’s something he needs to do first, and leaves.

Terry asks where Elizabeth was. Is everything okay? Elizabeth says, it’s great, and Terry says, Elizabeth has been worrying her, but now she seems steadier, calmer. Elizabeth flashes back to telling Finn that she’s going to turn herself in, and tells Terry that she’s been struggling with a decision. Now that she’s made it, she’s not feeling better, but resolved.

Drew says, Nina looks very nice, and she says, as does he. He asks if she got in an Amelia sighting, and she says she did; she came straight here from the hospital. He says, cute as ever, and she says, even more so. He says, she’s a blessing, and Nina says, this wedding is a blessing. To have something to celebrate is a gift. Is he flying solo, or will Carly be joining him?

Spencer says he’ll inform his Uncle Sonny that Dex was being intrusive, and he sent Dex away, but Josslyn says, Dex is doing nothing wrong. What’s the problem? Spencer says his problem is he doesn’t like Dex, and Josslyn asks if he’s five. He says he also doesn’t like the way Josslyn defends Dex, but she says she’d defend anyone this way. He can’t just roll up and start yelling at Sonny’s employees. He asks if she’d be this defensive about just another one of Sonny’s guns, and Trina says, enough. She invited Spencer here as her guest, and now he’s going out of his way to pick a fight. Sonny comes out, and asks, what’s going on?

Michael says he’ll take Willow home, and they’ll get married at the Quartermaines’, but he needs her to do something for him in return. He needs her to believe in the possibility of a miracle; just acknowledge that miracles do happen. He needs her to promise him that if they find a donor, she’ll agree to the transplant.

Obrecht says, help Nina reconcile with Willow, but Carly says she can’t do that. Obrecht says, Carly did all she could to create distance between them. Help bring them together for whatever time Willow has left; the only time Nina will ever get with her daughter. Carly says, Obrecht acts like Willow’s dislike for Nina is her doing, but Nina caused that all on her own. Because of that, she’s not pressuring Willow to accept Nina if she doesn’t want to. Obrecht says, and they say she lacks compassion, and starts the elevator again. Carly says she can’t build a bridge between Willow and Nina, but maybe she can try to build one between Willow and Obrecht.

Sam says, they caught a break tracking down the last family Maggie worked for, but Dante says, that was all her, and her P.I. skills. She says she doesn’t want to brag, but he says, she should. She got some very rich, private people to open up about Maggie. Not that it’s a lot to go on. She has no phone number or address; no email address, just a P.O. box. Sam says, that’s a very defeatist attitude, and he says he doesn’t mean to be. He’s just saying they have their work cut out for them. She says, that’s true, but it’s okay. They don’t have modern technology to fall back on. They’ll have to do this the old fashioned way. He asks, which way is that? and she says, he’ll see.

Portia checks herself out in the mirror, and flashes back to Curtis asking her to marry him, and her telling Curtis, when he came back into her life, happiness was again a possibility, and she wants that forever. He asks if that’s a yes, and she says, yes. She’s going to marry him. She remembers telling Curtis that Trina isn’t his daughter; Taggert is her father. She reaches for her bouquet, but then starts to walk to the door. There’s a knock, and Curtis asks if they can talk.

Josslyn says, what’s going on is, Sonny’s nephew is an entitled inconsiderate ass, and she goes inside. Trina says she appreciates Sonny having his own security, but it’s really not necessary. Her father has it covered. She goes in, and Spencer follows her. Sonny asks Dex what that was about, and Dex says, Sonny’s nephew wanted him to leave, but he wasn’t doing that until he checked with Sonny. Sonny says, it looked like Spencer was provoking Dex, but Dex didn’t take the bait. He says, Dex can go, but wants him to know that he got a date from Pikeman. The shipment’s going to be two weeks from tonight. He wants Dex to go with him to make sure the shipment is transferred without incident. Dex says, understood, and Sonny says, this is important. Dex says he appreciates Sonny giving him a chance to prove himself, and Sonny leaves.

Ava asks Trina, what’s wrong? and Trina says, nothing, but Ava says she knows better. Trina says she just saw Spencer roll up on one of Sonny’s people, and it’s a side of him that she doesn’t like.

Drew tells Nina that he thinks Carly is sticking close to Willow and Michael, and also thinks she wasn’t invited. Nina says, she wasn’t. She just thought Carly would be his plus one. He says, no date for him, and steps away.

TJ says, it’s almost time, and Molly says, it’s so exciting. Marshall wonders where his son disappeared to.

Portia says, they still have a little time, and starts to open the door, but Curtis says he doesn’t want to see her in her dress before it’s time. She says, it’s not like him to be superstitious, but he says, today’s not the day to tempt fate. He loves her, and felt the need to tell her that one more time before they take their vows. Trina comes into the hallway, and listens, as Curtis says he’s so happy life brought him and Portia back together, and he was able to rediscover her, so they can love openly and honestly; no secrets. They get to do it right this time. Trina slips away, and he says he can’t wait. Portia says she loves him to, and starts to say something else, but he says he’ll see her at the altar. He’ll be the one wearing his heart on his sleeve. She says, Curtis… but he’s already gone, and she cries.

Michael asks Willow to tell him, if she has the chance, she’ll fight to stay with him and the children, and she says she doesn’t want to leave him and the children; there’s nothing she wants less. Of course (🍷) if she gets the chance, she’ll fight with everything she has. He says, then he’ll go on praying for a miracle, and she says, as will she. Carly comes in, and asks if everything is okay. Willow says, it’s better than okay. She and Michael are getting married.

Sam tells Dante to let her do the talking, and he asks if she doesn’t think he can do a good British accent. She says, he can do a good Brooklyn accent. Maybe they should say they’re here on a referral from a friend. Maybe a couple they met in London, or the last family Maggie worked for. He asks if they should say they want her to work for them, and she says, to take care of their perfectly behaved children. He wonders what part of the story is more of stretch, and she says she thinks they should go to Plan B. Tell Maggie that they’re here on Esme’s behalf. They’re looking for the nanny who raised her because Esme is in trouble, and desperately needs her help.

Carly doesn’t blame Willow for wanting to go home, and Willow says, hopefully today. Michael says, tomorrow at the latest, and Carly says, then they’re going to have a wedding. Michael says, at the Quartermaines’; they want to recreate the first one. Carly says, that sounds beautiful and fitting. When? Michael says they haven’t picked a date, but Willow says, obviously sooner than later. In two weeks? Michael asks if it’s doable, and Carly says, with her and Olivia at the helm, anything is doable. They’re going to make sure they have the most perfect wedding. She suggests Michael take a walk, so she and Willow can discuss details. He leaves, and Carly says she really does want to talk to Willow about the wedding, but mainly she wanted Michael to leave the room. He wouldn’t like this. She needs to ask Willow for a favor.

Laura tells Curtis, they’re ready to start, and Spencer tells Josslyn that he’s sorry. She says, he’s always sorry… until next time.

Portia approaches the entrance to the church, and Sterling says, there’s his beautiful daughter. Trina says, she looks incredible, and Portia thanks them. Trina says she’s so excited for Portia and Curtis; she’s excited for all of them. Portia tells Trina to promise to remember how much she loves her, no matter what, and Trina says she promises, but Portia is getting married; she’s not being deployed overseas. They’re not saying goodbye. The music starts, and Terry says, that’s their cue. Trina asks if Portia is ready.

Trina walks down the aisle, and Sterling tells Portia, now it’s their turn. He’s so proud of her. Proud of the way she’s raised her daughter, proud of how she conducts her life. He and her mother feel blessed that she’s found someone to love her as much as she deserves to be loved. She says she loves him, and he says he loves her too. She takes his arm.

Here Comes the Bride plays, Terry opens the doors, and Portia and Sterling come down the aisle. Portia hands Trina her bouquet, and Trina mouths, I love you. Sterling shakes Curtis’s hand, kisses Portia on the cheek, and she and Curtis join hands.

Dante says, it’s true that Esme needs help, and Sam says, however awful Esme was – and they can all agree she was awful – she’s convinced Esme doesn’t remember. He says, Maggie helped raise her, so she’s going to want to help her, and she says, you’d think, and Maggie is probably worried that Esme’s gone off the grid. He asks which way she’s leaning, and she says she’s thinking the simplest way is the best way. He agrees, and suggests they go find Maggie and see what happens. She says, sounds like a plan, and he says, since the post office is closed until morning, they should stop at the pub they passed on the way in. She says, of course (🍷), and they leave.

Obrecht thanks Willow for seeing her, and Willow says, Obrecht is her great aunt. She didn’t know she had a great aunt at all. Obrecht says, it’s an adjustment for all of them, but life is full of surprises, and unexpected chances. She doesn’t intend to waste this one. Willow comes from a family of strong women. Not without flaws of course (🍷). They’ve certainly made regrettable mistakes, but they come through for each other, and they’ll come through for Willow. Like it or not, Willow is one of them now. Willow sort of smiles.

Michael sees Dex, but says, now is not a good time. Dex says he’ll keep it brief. Sonny just gave him some important information; they set a date for the Pikeman shipment. Sonny will be there personally to supervise, and wants Dex with him. It will give Michael the evidence he needs to take Sonny down. Michael asks, when’s the shipment? and Dex says, in two weeks.

Laura welcomes everyone, and says she’s so happy to be officiating this wedding, to have the honor of marrying Portia and Curtis, two people who clearly love each other. She and Curtis have been friends for a while, and she happened to be with him on a night he heard Portia was in danger. To say he jumped into action would be an understatement. Without hesitation, without fear, he was willing to risk everything to keep Portia and her daughter safe. It’s moments like that, that are so telling, and make it clear what’s really important. What was clear to her that night, was that there was already a strong bond between these two people; a bond that has only deepened since then, because here they are, ready to join their lives, and with Trina, become a family. So before they get the ball rolling, she has to ask the question they already know the answer to. Can anyone here show just cause why these two should not be joined in holy matrimony? If so, speak now, or forever hold your peace.

Tomorrow, Laura asks Curtis and Portia if either of them know any reason they shouldn’t be joined in holy matrimony; Heather gives someone a Valentine’s present; and Ryan says, everyone needs a back-up plan, right?

👰🏽 I have never once been to a wedding, including my own, where they’ve asked that question.

Below Deck

Rodney Bay Marina. In Fraser’s interview, he says he doesn’t know what’s worse; the captain telling him to stop speaking or telling him that the interior isn’t doing their work. He knows they are. Captain Sandy tells Tyler that he’s the hardest worker, and in her interview, she says she hears everything. She’s had over 30 years of experience, and expects respect for the chain of command. Alissa and Fraser have no regard for authority, and it’s frustrating. A bee bites Tony, and he curses the whore that birthed it. In Tony’s interview, he says, there’s a belief that garlic helps reduce the pain of a bee sting. He doesn’t know if it’s accurate scientifically, but it’s magic and it works. I can buy this, since garlic is a natural antibiotic, although I’ve never actually tried it. I was only stung once when I was four. No surprise, I was trying to pet the bee, but only annoyed it. Fraser tells Alisson, in his 29 years of work he’s never been talked to like that, and won’t be silenced by someone who doesn’t see the whole picture. They’re all doing their jobs. In Alisson’s interview, she says she’s upset since they’ve worked hard. They’re always up later than deck the team, who gets off every day. We flash back to demanding guests, and Alisson says she thinks the captain is delusional. Fraser says, it’s a solid crew, and Captain Sandy’s not a part of it. It’s time for the guests to depart, and primary Janine says, they came and conquered. There are hugs all around, and she thanks them for their wonderful service; they had so much fun. The crew made eight women happy. She gives Captain Sandy the tip envelope, saying, this is for you, and jokingly tries to take Rachel, saying, this is for me. The captain tells the crew to turn the boat around, and then meet in the main salon for the tip meeting.

Captain Sandy tells the crew, charter 6 is down, and they did a great job. She knows it’s been stressful, but the walls are thin, and she hears everything. She looks at Fraser, and says, so can the guests. If they’ve got a complaint, take it to their cabin. She doesn’t want it penetrating the boat. She tells them that they’re going to play volleyball on the beach for an hour, and in her interview, she says, all the gossip, finger pointing, and backstabbing has permeated the boat. She wants to turn this around with a team building exercise. On a previous boat, she had had $10K a year to do them, and it works. The tip is $23K, or $1739 per person. In Hayley’s interview, she says she’s with the interior for a reason. She hasn’t been outside in two years. Alisson says she loves the idea of volleyball, but not if it cuts into her napping. She tells Fraser that she’s taking heed, but doesn’t think the captain cares about what she said. Fraser calls up medic Conor, and asks if Conor will come look at his foot to see if it’s infected. When Conor arrives, Fraser tells him, that when he took off his sock, he tore the scab off. Conor says, it might be infected, and to keep the sand off of it. In his interview, Fraser says, it’s brilliant. Alisson is in bed, and doesn’t want to come, but Fraser tells her, it’s not a good look. In Fraser’s interview, he says he doesn’t need this, and has to remind Alisson that she has no control over her life when she’s on the ship.

Captain Sandy asks Rachel to be the coach, and says, Rachel sees the big picture; so many don’t. Fraser tells Alisson to come on; it’s a compulsory bond, and not his call. She bitches that she needs to sleep, but joins everyone as they leave for the beach. The captain explains that she always asks for team building exercises; they have to rely on each other. Tyler says, it feels weird be on land, and in Tony’s interview, he says he’s so happy. They finally get to move. There’s a lot of drama, and he thinks they need team building. The captain makes Ross the captain of the interior, and Fraser the captain of the exterior. In Rachel’s interview, she says she’s not into sports. Having balls near her face makes her want to run. Fraser tells the captain that he can’t get sand on his toe, and in her interview, Captain Sandy says she wishes she’d known about his foot. She could have delayed or rearranged the exercise, and it’s lack of communication. Fraser never reported he’d gotten hurt, and should have. Ross says he has no idea of the volleyball rules, and in Hayley’s interview, she says she doesn’t think their team is the most athletic. She did a sit-up once. She tells Ross that she feels like a fetus in a wig, rolling in the sand and getting sunburned. It’s severely embarrassing. Fraser plays cheerleader, and the interior wins, 6 to 0. In her interview, Hayley says, zero isn’t even a real number. The captain says, the exercise is used so they can see the strengths of each other’s team, but since Fraser couldn’t engage, it was a moot point. In her interview, she says she knows he said he was hurt, but it’s obvious he doesn’t want any part of this. If not trained, stepping into the role of chief stew is a huge learning curve. The potential is there, but she’s seen a lot of different chiefs, and can see where Fraser is. In Fraser’s interview, he says he feels like the captain is mentally taking a machete to his throat. Hayley says, there’s no praise; just what they’ve done wrong. Fraser says, the captain doesn’t value their work, and that’s why he doesn’t value the captain. Rachel suggests he not take that approach, and in her interview, she says, Fraser doesn’t take criticism well, and it reflects badly on his leadership. She’s seen him get offended when it’s just the captain’s style. Alisson tells Fraser that the next time the captain comes for him, she’ll hear from the crew, but I wonder what the rest of the crew would think about that.

On the way back, Alisson asks Katie what’s with her and Ross, and complains that Ross is the one flirting with her. Katie ignores her, and in Katie’s interview, she says she’s getting annoyed. She doesn’t know for sure, but Alisson could be telling the truth. Having sex with someone changes the dynamic of everything. We flash back to that, and Katie says, if she sleeps with someone, then they do something stupid, it makes her look like an idiot. Back at the boat, the crew gets ready to go out, and Ben calls Camille. They go to a restaurant, and raise their welcome shots to an epic charter. A kitty comes by, and everyone’s all into it, except for Fraser who whines, it’s a stray, and not while they’re eating. Ross sits with Katie, and in his interview, he says he likes to play the field. He doesn’t know what qualifies as a sex addict, but he does foresee having a partner for life. He’s made an active decision that it’s just going to be him and Katie, and there’s a good chance he’s going to get laid tonight. Alisson decides to be an a-hole, and literally walks in between Ross and Katie’s chairs, and in between Katie and the table to get to her chair. I’ve met women like her before; the ones that don’t like other women. Fraser bitches about the captain, and says they have an amazing team. Alisson says, the captain sucks the deck team’s d*ck, and in Ben’s interview, he says, Alisson is throwing bait and trying get a rise out of Fraser, but the captain is a badass you don’t want to cross. We flash back to Captain Sandy telling the captain of the boat next door that she’s not moving, and Ben says, she’s a great captain, but hard on the interior because there’s no flued connection. Alisson is just talking out of spite to get someone on her side. Fraser tells Alisson that from now on, the captain’s harsh words will be like water off a duck’s back.  They eat, then go back to the boat. Ross says, it was a great evening out; no injuries and he didn’t offend too many women. Alisson comes on to Ross, asking for a drag of his cigarette, but he tries to keep his distance. In Katie’s interview, she says, being cheated on has made her insecure. She created feelings with Ross, and now she’s upset. It sucks. Ross and Katie go to her cabin, while the others get in the hot tub. He tells Katie that he wants to go to the guest cabin. Tyler tells Ben that when he started in yachting, he didn’t drink. Now here he is. Ross tells Katie that talking about Alisson isn’t productive, and it pushes him away, but Katie says, him staring at Alisson makes her look like an idiot, and he leaves because he’s a big baby who can’t handle real talk.

In Katie’s interview, she says, don’t f***ing disrespect her. Alisson said she looked stupid, and she wanted to know what Ross had to say about it. In Tony’s interview, he says, Katie and Ross are like a cheap telenovela that he doesn’t want to see. Alisson is la otra (the other woman). Ross grumbles that he’s a victim no matter what, and tells Tony that Katie claimed he was flirting and grabbing Alisson throughout the evening. Tony says, it’s a sh*tshow, but Ross has a reputation, and Ross says he just went to bed. In Ross’s interview, he says, he’s slightly frustrated. It seems he and Katie have reached a dead end, and he doesn’t know what happened. He doesn’t enjoy drama; it’s like a throbbing headache. He doesn’t want to put any more effort in. He texts Katie, just you and me. No more Alisson bullsh*t. Everyone has pizza for lunch, and in his interview, Ross says, it’s awkward because he’s not sure if Katie read his text. In Katie’s interview, she says she keeps coming back, but she doesn’t want it to end because of Alisson. It’s giving her the power. Why play into that? Fraser tells the stews, when they’re done, they can get tanning time, so Alisson and Hayley jet through their tasks as quickly as possible, and lie on the bunny pad. Captain Sandy tells Tyler that he’s the only one she sees working, and he says he enjoys job. She says, that’s obvious, and goes out to find Hayley and Alisson tanning. She says, Tyler is still working, and Alisson says, they all had set tasks. Fraser said once they were done, they were allowed to tan. The captain asks if they won’t help Tyler finish his, and Hayley says, they didn’t realize he was still working. Alisson says, he’s on his last task, and the captain wonders if they asked if he needed help and he said he didn’t. Alisson says, all he had to do was the silver, and it’s not a two person job, but Hayley says she can help if he needs it. Captain Sandy says, if they asked and he said, no, that’s fine. She tells Alisson that her lack of respect is going to be addressed, and to come to the bridge. In Hayley’s interview, she says, there’s a way to speak to a captain, and the way Alisson does is not the one. It’s painful to watch her make the wrong move.

The captain tells Alisson that there have been a lot times the crew has overstepped. It’s something she won’t tolerate, and there needs to be a level of respect for the position. She knows Alisson feels secure, but she’ll be off the boat so fast. In Captain Sandy’s interview, she says, Alisson has no regard for authority. She doesn’t have to respect the captain as a person, but has to respect the position. Alisson says, they were only out there ten minutes, and weren’t aware Tyler was still working, and basically says, the captain had no need to chastise them. Captain Sandy tells Alisson that her communication style has to change, and Alisson says, cool. Yes, Sandy… Captain Sandy. In her interview, the captain says, that was like a f*** you in her face. Alisson tells Hayley what the captain said, and told her that she’d be off the boat so fast it would make her head spin, and in Alisson’s interview, she says, what she told the captain was in defense of the whole interior team. She’s frustrated with how the captain is treating Fraser, and he won’t say anything. When it comes to defending those she cares about, she doesn’t have a filter. The captain tried to make her feel insecure, so she has to try harder. Captain Sandy radios Fraser to meet her on the bridge, and tells him that Alisson has been insubordinate three times. Alisson’s crossed the line, and she won’t tolerate insubordination. She needs to see a change in things, and expects him to shoulder what needs to be improved. He’s permeated the boat like a cancer, and infected her entire program. Fish stinks at the head, and right now, he’s the head. It’s blatant disrespect. In her interview, she says, Fraser lacks respect for authority, and needs to earn her respect back. It started with him and it has to end with him. She tells him that he’s created the worst experience she’s had with a chief stew. Any words that come up the stairs from a crew member that are gossip or insubordination, she’ll fire whoever it is, and him. He apologizes, and says, he’s still learning. He’s sickened about how she feels, but it’s his mistake, and it won’t happen again. She says, that’s a first step. They can be allies or it can go another way. The hierarchy has to be respected. This is their reset.

In Fraser’s interview, he says he’s so embarrassed and ashamed by his behavior; it was immature, and he has to learn from his mistake. Ross tells Katie that he’s waiting for an apology, and she says she wanted to answer his text, but doesn’t understand why he doesn’t believe her. He says, Alisson is trying to drive a wedge between them. She’s the one flirting, not him. Katie says she’s sorry, and he says he’s never been involved in so much ridiculous drama in his life. She says, welcome to his life now. Alisson tells Fraser about her meeting with the captain, and says, the captain didn’t like her tone. She said Alisson would be off the boat so fast it would make her head spin. I’m not sure why she added that head spin, since Captain Sandy didn’t say that. She tells Fraser that she was just defending him and the team. He says he appreciates and loves Alisson as a person, but she has to respect the hierarchy. As much as they have their own opinions, they have to keep them to themselves. They’ve got to be strong.

Captain Sandy calls Ross, Rachel, and Fraser for the preference sheet meeting. The next primary is Kaura who’s in real estate, and has also entered several pageants. She was Miss Classic Universe (whatever the hell that is), and she’ll be celebrating her win with associates she’s met through the pageant circuit. Her goal is about being queen. They want a drag show, and a Beach Queen Olympics, and one guest has anti-inflammatory diet restrictions. The captain says, they’re hitting reset, and only have three more charters to go. Rachel says she wants a crown too. Afterwards, Fraser calls his mom, who asks, what happened? He tells her that he voiced an opinion, the captain caught wind of it, and named him the cancer of the crew. It makes him disgusted, especially after what he went through with his father. He’s ashamed and going to do his utmost to put things back on an even keel. He feels horrendous about what he did wrong, and he’s 100% responsible. He’s embarrassed, and going to learn from it, but he feels stupid. His mom tells him, it’s okay, as moms do.

In her interview, the captain says she wants to make it crystal clear that she’s not willing to tolerate insubordination. She wants zero pushback. It’s permeating the vessel negatively. Alisson was defensive and condescending. We flash back to that, and she says, Alisson is past being on thin ice; she’s falling through. People need to know there’s a boundary, and where the line is. Alisson tells Hayley that she had a dream the captain fried her. Should she apologize or let it go? Hayley asks what image she wants to portray, and in Alisson’s interview, she says she doesn’t think she was disrespectful. Hayley tells her to do what she thinks is right. It might not be what she said, but the way she delivered it. Captain Sandy calls Ross to the bridge, and shows him where they’re going to anchor. She says, if the wind picks up, they’ll head for their go-to spot. She adds that she needs him as a witness, which doesn’t look like it makes him too happy. She calls Alisson to the bridge, and I get all excited. Ross wonders what’s going on, and the captain tells Alisson, yesterday, when she said, Yes, Sandy, I mean, captain, it was a f*** you in her face. It’s insubordination, and shows a lack of respect for the position. And it’s insurmountable.

To be continued…

⚓️ I’m not just being mean when I say, good. Camille was lazy AF, but Alisson seems to have no clue that she’s working for someone. I would never talk to any boss the way she talks to Captain Sandy. And I even always address her, and any of the other captains, as Captain. Except for Glenn, who has told everyone to call him Glenn. I’m surprised at Fraser. He’s turned out to be a big crybaby and I wouldn’t have expected it, but maybe Alisson infected him. Hayley is a walking TMI booth, but she does her work and doesn’t complain. And while I sometimes think she’s too harsh, and Captain Lee will always be my Boat Daddy, they could do worse than Captain Sandy. She’s extremely fair, and is always willing to work with a crew member, as well as help them up the ladder. Buh-bye, Alisson.

💕 Popping Candy Hearts…

I’ll be trash talking Summer House, which is even more awful, tomorrow, along with the usual soap and a peek at New Jersey. Until then, stay safe, stay not taking Valentine’s candy from strangers, and stay aware that life is full of unexpected chances. Don’t waste them.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Finn says Elizabeth is still cold, and she tells him to share his blankie with her. He does, and puts his arm around her. He says, better? and she says, much better. He says, roughing it has improved since he last went camping, and she says she’s never been so happy to get off the grid. They almost kiss, when they hear a crashing in the trees. Finn says, what the hell? and they run to investigate.

Brando is working underneath a car in the garage, when someone hands him a tool. He slides out, and sees it’s Sasha. He says, they have to stop meeting like this. She says she was thinking, they should always meet like this. The smell of motor oil, the cinderblock echo; she feels like she’s in an old Springsteen video. He says, don’t get mad at him, but did they have plans for tonight? She says, they did not. She was hoping to surprise him, and thought they could make plans together. He asks what she had in mind, and she says she’s open to suggestions. After all, things have changed a little since her last garage seduction. He gets closer to her, and says, not that much.

Jax comes home, and Josslyn says, perfect timing. The first course is ready. She brings a dish to the coffee table, and he says, wow; the first course. What inspired all this? She says he has a kitchen and a washing machine. Now that she’s living in a dorm, she understands what luxuries those are. He says she’s welcome to them anytime, but he’s a little confused. When most kids come home from college, they expect a homecooked meal. They’re not the ones doing the cooking. She says she’s not your ordinary college girl, and – she picks up the dish – this is not your ordinary hors d’oeuvres. She can’t wait for him to try the sauce.

Nina and Sonny go back into the Tan-O, and Nina says, the sauce is so good, his shirt wanted a taste. He says, that’s not important, because she hasn’t had dessert. She says, dessert isn’t important. If they don’t get that stain, it’s going to set in, so come on. Hand it over. He starts to unbutton his shirt.

Cyrus is brought to the visiting area. He’s uncuffed, and he sits down, picking up the phone. He says he hopes his visitor had a nice flight, and we see it’s Mr. Buscema, who nods. Cyrus asks what Buscema has for him, and Buscema says the question is, what does Cyrus have for him? If Cyrus wants his help taking down the Corinthos Organization, Cyrus needs to start by telling Buscema how he’s going to benefit his business.

Gladys thanks Mr. Novak for the lovely drinks on the terrace. She appreciates his generosity. There’s no need to buy her dinner. Novak says, if she insists. A small price to pay for the pleasure of her company. She doesn’t know how much of a pleasure it’s been. She just can’t get past Carly’s rudeness. And that’s the last thing she’ll say about Carly, she promises. He says, no need to apologize about venting about Carly. It sounds like they have a complicated history.

Carly tells Jason, she’s going to go see Brando, and see if he has a lead on Cyrus’s connection with the Five Families tiramisù. He tells her, take a guard, but she says she thinks it’s safe. He says, take a guard anyway, and she asks if she should be worried. He says, no. If it comes down to it, he’ll get to Novak and his nephew; he may have to anyway. She says, why? and he says, because nobody threatens her. If anybody tries, they lose everything. She kisses him on the cheek, and the elevator door opens. Britt is there, and Carly turns, seeing her.

Cyrus says Buscema’s presence sends a clear message that, although the Buscema family supported Carly and Jason replacing Sonny, their interests align. Buscema says he’s obligated to consider all options, and Cyrus says, since this is just about business, the bottom line is, Jason and the Widow Corinthos are bad for it.

Novak asks how soon after Sonny’s passing did Jason and Carly connect, and Gladys says, practically at the wake. And this isn’t gossip – he says, of course (🍷) not, the truth and nothing butwhile they were making lovey-dovey shark eyes at each other, Jason was playing slap and tickle with one of the doctors at General Hospital.

Britt comes out of the elevator, and says, the happy couple. Congratulations on picking the wedding date. Carly says, Britt heard (like it’s some big secret), and Britt says, it’s hard keep a secret like that from the internet. It’s coming up fast. Not a lot of time plan. Carly says, no time like the present, and goes in the elevator. Britt says she wants Carly to know, she wishes them nothing but the best. The elevator door closes, leaving Jason with Britt.

Jax asks Josslyn, to what does he owe the pleasure? and she says she thought they should have some dad/daughter time. He says, that’s so sweet. What’s the real reason? She says, the celebratory dinner at the MetroCourt was a disaster, and he says, he knows; he’s sorry. He should have left his recent argument with her mother at home where it belonged. She says, it’s not really recent; there’s been tension for months. He says, she noticed, and she says, they usually work things out faster than this. She’s getting worried. There’s a beeping from the kitchen, and Josslyn thinks it’s the oven timer, but Jax says, it’s the smoke alarm.

Elizabeth and Finn find a parachuter on the ground. Pioneer Scout Wyatt (remember him?) pops out of the forest, and asks if they require assistance. Finn says, let him take a look first, and he and Elizabeth try to get the parachute off. Wyatt says he has a badge in knots, and Finn tells him to help. Wyatt runs over and says, it looks like a battle knot. Finn and Elizabeth both say, just untie it. He does, and Finn turns the man over. It’s Scotty, and I die laughing. Well, at least they put a parachute on him. That’s more than most bad guys would do.

Wyatt calls 9-1-1, and says, there appears to be a parachute accident. It’s a male, in his early 60s, unconscious… He tells them, hold on, and says they want Scotty’s vitals. Finn says he seems good; no broken bones. He thinks Scotty is just out cold. Wyatt says, there’s a doctor and nurse there, and they said no broken bones, but he’s out cold; that means unconscious. They’re about 200 yards from the campgrounds, and there’s vehicle access. He hangs up, and tells Finn and Elizabeth that an ambulance in en route. Finn thanks him, and says it’s good to see him again. Elizabeth says, they know each other? and Finn says, their paths crossed a long time ago. He asks how Wyatt is, and remarks on him being a Pioneer. Wyatt says he’s a Pioneer second class, and has two more badges to go to be first class. If they need help… Elizabeth thanks him, and rubs Scotty’s chest. Scotty opens his eyes, and Finn asks if Scotty can tell them what happened. Scotty says, are we there yet?

Josslyn and Jax come out from the kitchen with plates, and Josslyn says, it’s the least she could do after all his effort, but apparently she inherited her mom’s talent in the kitchen. Trina tried to give her some pointers, but even Trina can only do so much. He says, when she comes over, she can practice on him. He’ll be her guinea pig, especially if it’s Lady Jane’s recipe. She says she hopes he feels that way after dinner, and he says, while they wait, tell him her concerns about him and her mother. She says, it’s mostly him. Since he came home from Nixon Falls, he’s seemed stressed. He says he’s fine; she doesn’t need to worry. She says, so his stress has nothing to do with her mom marrying Jason?

Britt tells Jason that she caught up with Maxie. She’s hard at work planning the wedding. She was surprised at the magnitude of the festivities. He says, they told Maxie understated, and she says, as in tasteful and small? Maxie is going all out, presumably with their blessing. She can’t help but wonder what he and Carly are trying to prove.

Cyrus says, Sonny has always been in charge; Jason was just the brute force that kept him there. He’s a gifted enforcer, nothing more. Buscema says, interesting perspective, and Cyrus says, if Jason had any initiative, he would have removed Carly. Instead, he’s marrying her and asking the families to ignore that a civilian marched into the organization, and began calling the shots. A civilian who could go to the Feds, putting them all in danger of exposure.

Brando tells Sasha that he’s been working extra hours, but also picked up some side gigs so he can make improvements on his apartment. He was thinking, when Gladys moves out, maybe Sasha could move in. She says she didn’t realize he was ready for that step, and he says they’re both busy people who want to spend more time together. What better way than being in the same place when they’re not being busy? She says she hopes if they were to live under the same roof, it would be more than just a crash pad. He says, it’s a temporary home while he saves money to get a new place. Of course (🍷) he knows she can afford a beautiful home on her own already, and she says she wouldn’t go that far, but go on. He says, if and when they get a place together, he wants her to know he’ll pull his weight. She doesn’t have to decide right now, but he hopes she considers it. She says she’ll definitely consider it. There’s just one thing she needs to know. What are these side gigs? He says, they’re just side gigs, when Carly comes in. She says she needs to talk to him about something important.

Nina tells Sonny, the trick is to use a lot of club soda, and push it through the fabric, so the stain doesn’t set. She learned a lot of nifty weird tricks on how to clean clothes from being on Crimson shoots. Another cool thing is to use equal parts dish soap and peroxide… Sonny comes up behind her, and she turns to him. He kisses her, takes her hand, and leads her to the back.

Finn gets off the phone, and tells Elizabeth, Chase is loving watching the kids. He’s going to teach everyone to make something called campfire blondies? and Elizabeth says, they’re so good. He says they’re saving her one, and his daughter apparently is so excited about the prospect of scary campfire stories, she didn’t even ask when he’s coming back. She says, kids and their priorities, right? and he says, their people are taking great care of Scotty, right? She says, regardless of how many pending lawsuits he has against the hospital. He says, a man’s gotta make a living, and an orderly comes out. She tells Finn, the attending physician would like a word, and Finn says, lead the way. He leaves with her, and Jordan comes by. She thanks Elizabeth for the call, and says, Scotty was involved in a skydiving mishap? Elizabeth says, they don’t know what happened. All they know is, he crash landed near their campsite. Jordan asks, who’s we? and Elizabeth says, her and Finn; they were on a family camping trip. Jordan asks if Scotty was able to tell her what happened, but Elizabeth says, he was too out of it. Jordan asks if she thinks Scotty can speak to her now, when Finn comes out. He says he’s glad Jordan’s there. Scotty is in room 1024. Before she goes in, he and the attending physician are in agreement that he wasn’t knocked out on impact. They’re running a tox screen, and if the results are what they anticipated… Jordan says, he didn’t make the jump voluntarily.

Britt tells Jason, don’t answer that. It’s none of her business. He says, okay, and she says, okay is an answer. It’s probably even more annoying than the answer to the original question. He starts to say something, but she says, don’t. Wow. She bets it’s the first time anybody told him to say less. He says he thinks she’s right, and she says, whatever’s going on makes no sense to her, but so what? She’s decided she doesn’t need to know all the secrets and answers to the universe. She just has to accept them. She’s glad she got that out of her system. Now she can move on.

Novak says, he takes it Gladys doesn’t appreciate the union between Carly and Jason, and Gladys laughs. She says, that gold-digging climber took her cousin for all he was worth, and the second he was gone, she threw herself at Jason. No gratitude or loyalty; no class. And how dare Carly not invite her to the wedding? Novak asks why Gladys would want to attend the celebration of a union of which she so sorely disapproves of, and Gladys says, it’s the hottest ticket in town. Novak laughs.

Jax asks what makes Josslyn think he’s worried about Carly marrying Jason? and she says, it’s impossible to miss. He says he has to work on his poker face, and she asks if the problem is her mother marrying Jason or marrying in general. He says, it’s more a parenting thing, and she says, that’s a very broad answer. He says, from the moment a child is in the world, a parent’s job is to look out for danger, and make sure they’re safe. Josslyn says they’ve done that, and he says, they have, but she’s off to college now, and with that, comes new worries. She says he doesn’t have to worry. She’ll still be the same person, just not under a parental roof. He says it’s not her he’s worried about. He’s worried about other people. Josslyn says she has a bodyguard, and Jax asks how she feels about that. She says, it used to bother her to have someone constantly looking over her shoulder, but she realized it was for her safety. Devon is cool. She acts like it’s inconvenient, but it makes her feel better, and Cameron is cool with it. He asks how that’s going, and she says they’re happy. He says, they should be. She should be living her life and having fun, and let him do the work. She says she was planning on it. She’s happy to know he’s on the job too. He says now that the food has cooled off, they should try this amazing appetizer.

Carly says Sasha looks so beautiful; she’s glowing. Sasha thanks her, and Carly says she didn’t mean to interrupt. She needs to pick Brando’s brain about something, and it’s important. Brando says, whatever she needs, and Sasha says, while they talk, she’ll go to the ladies room. Carly promises it will just be a minute, and Sasha leaves. Carly says she hopes Sasha doesn’t think she doesn’t trust her, but Brando says he’s sure she understands some conversations don’t apply to her. Carly says, this is one of them. Cyrus being put away isn’t having the effect they were hoping for. He still has connections, and he’s using them to target people he feels wronged him. He says, the last time he saw Cyrus, Cyrus tried to kill him and his mother. Does she think he wants to finish the job?

Buscema asks what Cyrus is proposing, and Cyrus says, that the Five Families biscotti use Carly and Jason’s wedding as a window to strike. It will even provide alibis for the family heads. In one fell swoop, they can hobble the Corinthos Organization, and it will have no chance for recovery or retribution. Buscema says, it’s a risk, and Cyrus says, one has to speculate to accumulate. Is he in or out? Buscema asks if he has to decide now, and Cyrus says, not now, but soon. The wedding is approaching fast, and it might be their only shot at neutralizing Jason and his new bride.

Carly says she doesn’t know if Cyrus is coming after Brando or not, and he asks what she needs from him. She says, Cyrus has somehow forged a relationship with someone high up in the Five Families rigatoni. Jason is trying to figure out who. He says, he was just Cyrus’s driver. He wasn’t very high up on the food chain. She says he was perfectly placed to interact with people on the ground. He and the other guards would hang out and talk, while they were inside doing business. He says, they mostly talked about sports. They didn’t exchange trade secrets. She asks if anyone seemed more loyal or sympathetic to Cyrus, but he says, no one springs to mind. He did keep a notepad. He can review it, and if he finds anything, he’ll tell her. She says, what about Joey Novak? Did he ever come in for his tune up?

Novak tells Gladys, it so happens he’s attending the wedding, and he’d be honored if she would accompany him. Gladys says, okay. It’s not her first rodeo, or her second. What’s his angle? He laughs, and says she reminds him of his of ex-wife. She says he’s not the first man to tell her that, and it’s never a ringing endorsement. He says, it is; she left him. They laugh, and she says, well then… She gets up, and says she guesses she’ll see him at the wedding. He lifts his glass.

Britt looks at her phone, and Jason asks if she has somewhere to be. She says she’s meeting someone, and they just arrived. Have a good evening. She walks over to the elevator, where she greets a guy we don’t know.

Jax says, this is incredible. The cheese has so much flavor, and the marinara sauce is to die for. Josslyn has an odd look on her face, and says she didn’t make the sauce. He says she put together this beautiful selection. She doesn’t like it? She says she does like it; she loves it. He asks, why the face? when the timer goes off. She says she’ll go grab the stew.

Sonny and Nina are in Sonny’s bedroom, kissing, when her hair gets caught in his watch. Been there. She gets untangled, and sees the inscription. She says she’s sorry. She can’t do this.

Scotty is in a hospital bed, and Elizabeth comes in with Jordan and Finn. She hugs him, and says she’s so glad he’s okay. He says, it’s going to take more than a fall to break this Humpty Dumpty, and Jordan asks if he’s up for answering a few questions. He says he’s fuzzy, but fire away. She asks what he remembers, and he says he was on a plane. She says, private or commercial? and he says, private. She asks where he was headed, and he says, some woman’s name…  St. Lucia. The next thing he knew, they were going into a nosedive, and the oxygen masks dropped. They didn’t even have a chance to sip their champagne. Jordan asks if someone was with him, and he says, of course (🍷). Obrecht was with him. Why else would he charter a private jet? Tell him that she’s there and she’s okay.

Britt’s date babbles about himself, and she looks at her phone. She says, it’s an emergency at work. Nice to meet him. Duty calls. She jets, and Jason watches. In the elevator, Britt’s phone rings. She says, if only they’d called five minutes ago, she wouldn’t have had to lie. What’s up? Jordan asks her to get to the hospital as soon as she can.

Finn says, Obrecht hasn’t shown up in the ER, and hasn’t been admitted. He’s having Amy check the other hospitals. Joran says, the FTA and the NTSB have no reports of any crashes. She has a call in to find out if any aircraft lost contact with flight control, but the flight plan and manifest won’t be available tonight. Elizabeth says, it doesn’t make any sense. Parachutes aren’t exactly standard safety gear, even on a private jet, right? Finn says, they’re not standard, and Scotty was dressed in travel clothes, not a jumpsuit. It’s pretty clear he was forced out of that plane. Jordan says, there’s a lot they don’t know, but this wasn’t an accident. And whoever arranged it, is powerful, and potentially deadly.

Cyrus says, if Buscema and the other families are concerned about liability, he’ll be more than happy to coordinate the takeover personally. Buscema says, from there? He can do that? Cyrus says he’s had plenty of practice running things remotely. As we all have at this point. Buscema says, all this to take Carly and Jason off the board. What’s really in this for Cyrus?

Brando tells Carly that Joey never showed up, and Carly says, he’s not likely to. He was sent abroad according to Vincent. Brando says he almost wishes he was still in good with Cyrus; he could go to the source. Carly says, unfortunately, Cyrus’s trust in Brando was gone the second Sasha chose him over Cyrus. He says, lucky him, and she says she thinks saving Sasha’s life had something to do with it. He says, funny how life works out. He always respected Sonny, and Jason came through for him a lot. He’s glad she and Jason found each other. Now they both have unexpected love in their lives. She says, love they want to protect. Sasha listens in, and he says he’s sure Joey isn’t the only made guy with a car. He’ll reach out to Novak, Woo, and Buscema’s people ,and tell them he’s open for business. With a special discount for associates. Nothing like a beer and a wait on their hands to get guys talking. Carly says he’s a great help, when Sasha comes in. She asks, what is he helping with exactly?

Josslyn says, dinner is served, and Jax says, before they sit down, tell him what was bothering her before. She says, it was nothing, but he says, it didn’t seem like nothing. She says she’s literally too embarrassed to say it out loud, but he says she knows she can tell him anything. She says, it’s going to sound weird, but the sauce tasted exactly like Sonny’s. Exactly. He says, Sonny was known to be a good cook, but most marinara sauces use the same ingredients. She says, exactly . Even the best ones taste the same. Did it taste like any he’s had before? Jax admits it didn’t, and she says, why not? He says, it had a spicy kick, almost like arrabbiata, but not; and a little smoky. She says, Sonny’s sauce was unique… until now. If she didn’t know Sonny was dead, she’d swear Sonny made himself.

Britt goes to Scotty’s room, and says, the Commissioner told her he was there. He asks if she spoke to Elizabeth and Finn, and she says she came straight to see him, in case there was a story or anything she needs to get straight. Wasn’t he supposed to be on his way to St. Lucia with her mother? What happened? He says he doesn’t know. They were on a private jet, and the next thing he knew, the plane started to go down. The oxygen masks were dropping. All he remembers is coming to on the ground, and seeing a kid in a Pioneer Scout uniform standing over him with Finn and Elizabeth. She asks, what happened to her mother? Please tell her that she bailed out with him. He says he doesn’t remember bailing out himself. He hopes to God she made it off the plane safe.

Wyatt picks up trash around where Scotty fell. He sees the locket and picks it up, looking at Nathan and Britt’s pictures.

Carly tells Sasha, she truly has nothing to worry about, when Glady’s stumbles in. She laughs, and Brando tells her, please say she didn’t drive. She says she took a ride… Sasha says, Ride Share? and Gladys says, that’s the one. She did want to let Carly know… Carly says, know what? and Gladys says, even though Carly didn’t see fit to invite her, she’ll be a wedding guest after all. She’s coming as a plus one. Carly cringes, and says, let her guess. Gladys says she’ll never guess, and Carly says, Vincent Novak. Gladys asks how she guessed, and Carly says, easy. Gladys says she can’t wait to share in Carly’s special day. She takes Carly’s hand, and says, and she’ll have the chicken… Wait, no, the fish… On second thought, the chicken.

Jason tells Novak, there are rumors that Cyrus is making moves behind bars. He wants to make sure it doesn’t threaten the peace. Novak says, straight to the point. He admires that. Therefore, he’ll do the same. They have nothing to fear from the Novaks. Certainly not where Cyrus is concerned. He hasn’t forgotten Cyrus burning his warehouse, and he doesn’t forgive it. Under the circumstances, the enemy of his enemy is his friend.

Cyrus tells Buscema to remember, first and foremost, he’s an opportunist. Where there is turmoil, there’s an opportunity to strike. What’s in it for him is simple. He wants revenge.

Nina tells Sonny that she’s sorry, but this watch is evidence of the life he used to have. if he ever remembers that life, the people he loved, and the people who loved him… He says, the people who didn’t bother to look for him? She says, if he remembers that life, he might discover there are people out there who love and miss him, and he might discover he loves and misses them too. She can’t do this until he learns who he used to be before Nixon Falls. He says he doesn’t want to know. How many times does he have to tell her? He doesn’t want to. She takes his hand, and puts the watch in it. She says, until he does, she can’t give him all of her. Find out who he is. She leaves, and he tosses the watch on the bed.

Josslyn says, Jax probably never tried Sonny’s sauce, but he has to believe her that this sauce is exactly like it. He asks where she got it, and she says, Trina got it at a bar in Nixon Falls. He asks what the name of the bar is, and she says, he’s right; she’s being ridiculous. He tells her that he didn’t say that, and she says, it has to be a coincidence; it can’t be Sonny’s sauce. That’s crazy, right? Jax remembers seeing Sonny in a haze when he was put on the stretcher after he was shot. He says, right. Crazy.

Tomorrow, Alexis says someone has to walk away, Jordan tells Anna that a question needs answering, Spencer tells Nikolas that the stalker isn’t the only threat, and Jax says, if anyone knows, it’s Nina.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Dorit’s wedding dress samples came; her latest venture into design. In her interview, she said designing them was different because it was one memory a woman was going to have forever. Unless it was Hollywood. Then she might have more than one memory. They weren’t all my taste, but they were all gorgeous, and I have to admit, Dorit is good at what she does. PK wanted to name the dresses, and in Dorit’s interview, she said, PK wanted to be involved in everything. She didn’t like it at first, but then she’d realize he was a visionary. They talked about marriage, which led to talking about Erika, which seems to be the topic of every conversation this season. In her interview, Dorit said she thought the reason why she talked too much with the women, was because her husband didn’t let her talk at home.

Sutton took Kyle to see her new house, which was one of those boxy things you see in L.A., but the box is hiding the fabulousness inside. It was 6000 square feet, with 4 bedrooms, and 5 bathrooms. Sutton was still renovating, and in Kyle’s interview, she said while Sutton was waiting to move in, she was counting the rent. In Sutton’s interview, she said she was living her best life after her divorce. The house represented her independence as a single woman, and was symbolic to her. She asked Kyle what she and Mauricio were doing for their 25th anniversary, and Kyle said they were getting the kids out of the house, and having dinner at home. She asked how Sutton felt about LisaR’s launch party, and Sutton said the party itself was beautiful. She was using kid gloves with Erika, but when she got a doodoo nail pointing at her face, and Erika called her small town, she realized Erika wasn’t as special as she’d thought. In Sutton’s interview, she said she thought she and Erika had bonded in a deeper way. We flashed back to Sutton saying she had a pretty mess inside, and Erika high-fiving her. She told Kyle that she felt betrayed, and was ready for a hardcore conversation with Erika. In her interview, she said she didn’t think Erika knew exactly what was going on, but she thought Tom might have said the gig was up. Take care of yourself; it’s been a nice ride. Sutton told Kyle that Erika lied about the car accident. We flashed back to Erika’s two different stories, and in Kyle’s interview, she said she understood Erika keeping things to herself. She didn’t think Erika trusted people. She’d been married to a lawyer, and he’d probably told her to be careful of the things she said; they could be used against her. Sutton said she didn’t think it was impossible, but it seemed fishy. In her interview, she said, Erika made a deal with the devil, and the devil always comes knocking. Wow. That is so true. Kyle said she’d be eating crow if Erika wasn’t the person she thought Erika was. One of them had to be wrong. Sutton said it was all in the pastry.

Crystal prepared lunch with housekeeper Lucy, and it was quite a spread of Chinese fare. Erika applauded when she saw pancakes. In Crystals interview, she said she’d eaten guinea pig from a street vendor, and had thought it was pig. She dumb. And also, eww! The kids were being taught songs and poems in Chinese, and Crystal said her parents had spoken Chinese at home when she was growing up. She didn’t want her kids to lose their culture. I’m with her there. There are things I wished I’d learned about my own cultures when younger. Kathy joined them, and said she wanted to make a beautiful, special party. In her interview, she said she had one friend where it was always the same salmon and the same group of people. She liked to try and mix it up. Garcelle was the last one to join them, and said she thought a small group was nice. They talked about Dorit being long-winded, and Erika said it was something they’d all mentioned. Kathy said she’d even joked about it, and we flashed back to that. In Garcelle’s interview, she said, what were they supposed to do? Duct tape? Erika said Dorit was sensitive, and Garcelle said she and Erika were perceived as strong. Erika said she’d never kick a dog when it was down, and do the what about me? thing. She said Sutton had been judgmental at the launch party, wanting to put a distance between them because, what about me? In Erika’s interview, she said Sutton was disappointing. The Sutton she knew had been kind to her. We flashed back to Sutton being supportive, and Erika said, for Sutton to flip was enough to make her want to stand back. Kathy said Sutton was thinking about her social standing, which was more conservative. The good news and bad news was that nobody cared what they had to say. Everyone had skeletons in their closet. It was just that her family’s skeletons were out there. In her interview, Erika said if you wanted to talk reputation, ask Kathy Hilton. If Kathy had nothing to worry about, none of them did. Erika said she’d never heard of Sutton before she joined the group, and in Garcelle’s interview, she wondered if somebody was only important if Erika knew who they were. Before Crystal joined them, Garcelle didn’t know her, but she did know Rob. I guess we knew Tom long before Erika too. Crystal said she thought Sutton’s behavior stemmed from insecurity, and Garcelle said she found Sutton to be quirky and funny, and she finally had a voice. Crystal thought Sutton’s voice was awkward, and Erika said, Sutton was lucky that people knew who TF she was.

Kyle was impressed by the ton of candles Mauricio put out for their 25th anniversary. She asked what he had planned for her, and he said, caviar and Joe’s stone crab. They toasted to their anniversary, and in Kyle’s interview, she said it made her happy. Her husband had always been supportive, and she was supportive of him. Their lives had changed a lot, yet they were able to stay in sync. We flashed back to them over the years, and she said, mutual respect. That didn’t mean they don’t fight. She was usually the one who got mad, and he had to apologize if he wanted peace in his life. Mauricio took her past more candles and a billion balloons on the ceiling, to a table near the pool, which was beautifully lit up. He had several bottles of champagne waiting, and the caviar. In her interview, Kyle said her mom hadn’t trusted men, and said she only cared about her kids. Kyle had made sure her marriage was a priority. If she’d left whenever she was upset, she woudn’t have lasted a year. They talked about Erika, and Kyle said she and Tom had been married 20 years. In her interview, she said it was a reminder to put in the homework you had to do for marriage. Mauricio hoped Erika didn’t know anything about Tom’s dealings, and Kyle hoped she wasn’t wrong about Erika.

Everyone got ready for Kathy’s party. In Sutton’s interview, she said you didn’t have to believe your friends 100% of the time. Sometimes you had to trust your gut. Kathy went around checking everything before the party, and in her interview, she explained that she needed to touch everything. Her pet peeve was people arriving 10 minutes early when she was doing last minute touches. She was a fluffer. Apparently she didn’t know what that word means, and I was surprised the producers didn’t enlighten her. If you don’t know what it means, I’m not telling you. Google it. Butler Patrick welcomed LisaR, who was the first to arrive. In LisaR’s interview, she said it was old school hospitality at the Hilton’s. No one had a staff like Kathy’s. That’s money. Kathy was like the fourth one there, and in her interview, Kyle said that Kathy absolutely showed up late for her own parties. Garcelle came in last, wearing a fabulous faux leopard coat. Patrick passed around amazing hors d’oeuvres, and kept their glasses filled. LisaR said she was on her second drink, and not responsible for what came out of her mouth. Has she ever been? They headed for the dinner table, and Sutton said she and Erika had a second to chitchat. She wanted to make sure Erika was okay with what had happened at the party. Erika asked what Sutton was trying to do. They didn’t need clear the air. Sutton had made her position clear. Erika had heard it from everyone else, and didn’t want to talk. She had enough problems, and only had enough capacity for what mattered to her. And Sutton’s opinion didn’t matter ( …matter, matter, matter – I had a Gilbert and Sullivan moment – sorry). Erika excused herself to go to the ladies room, and Kathy asked what Sutton did. Sutton said she asked if Erika wanted to chitchat, and it wasn’t received well. She’d thought it was better for Erika to hear what she’d said from her. Caviar was served, and in Dorit’s interview, she said, never mind the homemade vodka that was probably made for Kathy personally, but when the caviar pie was brought out, they exited Beverly Hills and went to heaven.

Dorit started to rehash things with Garcelle, saying, she didn’t like confrontation, but she always spoke up for herself. What Garcelle said had made her feel sh*tty. Kathy wisely suggested that they wanted to actually enjoy it when they ate, and in Garcelle’s interview, she said she was up for a conversation with Dorit, but Dorit would have been hijacking the conversation all night. So, thanks, Kathy. Dorit was doing something right though, since that tiny Pomeranian of Kathy’s was cozy in her lap. LisaR somehow got ahold of a bell that had been taken away from her earlier, and said if anyone had anything to work out or deal with, ring the bell. Because we’re in third grade. I thought, did she not just hear Kathy? and LisaR shoved the bell at Sutton. Sutton said she’d tried to have a conversation with Erika, and it upset her. Erika said she hadn’t been upset; Sutton’s opinion didn’t matter to her. Dorit tried to interject, but Erika told her, hold on. Sutton said she had the bell, like anyone cared, and asked Erika to stop speaking to her the way she was. Erika said her life had nothing to do with Sutton, and in Kathy’s interview, she said she was starting to think she should have let Dorit talk. Patrick must be sorry he had to serve Erika the lambchops. In the kitchen, Patrick told the staff that they were fighting like cats and dogs out there. Sutton said Erika’s crack about her being small town was derogatory, not just to her, but anyone from a small town. She was proud of what she and her husband had built from the ground up, with no money. Erika asked how her life impacted Sutton’s, and Sutton said she thought it would, but it hadn’t. She’d panicked. Erika just kept saying her life didn’t affect Sutton.

Dorit said she loved and supported Erika, and didn’t agree with Sutton, but every article did have their names dragged in. In Dorit’s interview, she said she wasn’t worried, but there was so much they didn’t know. They could be subpoenaed. That didn’t mean they weren’t friends; they just needed reassurance. Erika said a sweet day was coming, and she’d remember those who were with her, and those against her. Sutton said she wasn’t against Erika, and Garcelle said it was human nature to wonder if something would affect you. Erika insisted it wasn’t. Why would they be dragged in? A tear rolled down her cheek, and I have to admit, I thought it was a little too perfect. And BTW, waterproof mascara this time. Garcelle still thought it was human to wonder if you’d be implicated, but she didn’t want Erika to be hurt. She also didn’t like the way Erika was looking at her, which was Ice Queen Barbie. Garcelle sat next to Erika, and told her she was trying to understand a little bit. She tried to wipe the tear from Erika’s cheek, and Erika jerked away. In Garcelle’s interview, she said she was just trying to be kind. Dorit said she’d do anything Erika needed, but holy sh*t, reading about the victims was hard to digest. She would think Erika felt the same. Erika said she felt worse. In Dorit’s interview, she said she felt bad for Erika, but the victims who had nothing, and now had even less. Erika asked why they were all torturing her, and Dorit said they were trying to be there for her. Erika said it didn’t like it. And in a tone to match the look she gave Garcelle, she said, look at me. Look at my effing life.

Dorit looked like she had a headache, and said it broke her heart. Erika said if it broke her heart, why was she still talking? Dorit said nothing was being done to Erika, and LisaR started philosophizing about loving your neighbor and yourself. Erika said she loved LisaR, but that was bullsh*t. I had to agree with the latter, as is most of what LisaR says. Erika said every time she came to an event, they got things out of her. She needed compassion, and was looking around the table for support. A confused Kyle said Erika had their support. It was about Sutton being honest with what she’d said. She was Sutton’s friend, but Sutton wasn’t being honest. She was being two-faced. In Sutton’s interview, she said Kyle was calling her two-faced, and no one was speaking up. She told Erika she’d brought up hard questions at the dinner, but she didn’t think Erika was a liar. She’d softened on her point-of-view. Kyle said Sutton told her that she thought Erika was lying. In Kyle’s interview, she said they all had questions, but they all didn’t call a meeting, and have the same concerns. We flashed back to Sutton’s meeting, and Kyle said Sutton had a big voice when the person she was talking about wasn’t there, but when she saw them, it was a different situation. In Garcelle’s interview, she didn’t know why Kyle and LisaR were focused on Sutton. Why not Dorit? We flashed back to Dorit saying everything she’d believed about Erika’s life was the opposite. Why is Sutton being the scapegoat? I’ll tell you why. They always choose someone to pick on each season because they’re mean girls, LisaR leading the pack. This time, new girl Crystal also jumped on the get-some-more-screen-time bandwagon immediately. Sutton said when Erika had told two different stories about the car accident, she’d thought Erika lied. Erika said she wasn’t a liar, and Sutton said she didn’t trust Erika to tell them the truth 100%. In her interview, Sutton said, where there was one lie, there were a lot more. It was like when you saw one cockroach, you knew there were a lot under the sheetrock. Erika said Sutton was trying to accuse her of lying, and she wasn’t a liar. She could go head-to-head all day with Sutton. She had a lot of effing nerve. Sutton told Erika not to talk to her like that, and Erika said, or what? like a bully on the playground. Sutton said, or nothing, and Erika said, exactly. So STFU. Sutton had no idea what she was talking about.

🛣 Hitting the Road, Jack…

Tomorrow (aka Thursday), Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles begins a new season, although I might sit this one out. Too many numbers. The two Toms are also having another Bravo watch party at 10 pm, this time for Southern Charm. I’m not that crazy about these. Although I love watching other people watching TV and making snarky comments – my new dream job – they bring in random friends whose opinions I couldn’t care less about. Not that I care about their opinions either, but at least I know who they are. Until we meet again for who knows what, stay safe, stay more competitive with yourself than anyone else, and stay not pondering the knot. Just untie it.
