What I Watched Today

General Hospital

Josslyn clears the outside tables at Kelly’s when Dex comes along. They kiss, and she says she’s been looking forward to the concert all day. It’s pretty soon, but she just needs a couple more minutes. She has to clean some coffee pots in the back. He says he’s really sorry, and she says, oh no, what? He says he has to work tonight, and she says, but he told her that Sonny gave him the night off; Sonny didn’t need him. He says, she knows how it is with Sonny. Things change.

Robert sees Diane walking toward the courtroom and says, counselor, caught in the act of fleeing a crime. She says, he caught her, and he says, indeed he has. She asks who ratted her out, and he says, one of his spies said there’s this suspicious looking redhead in the building, and here he is to investigate. She laughs.

Brook sends a text to Chase: Need you. Everything is falling apart. Leo comes in and says, she looks sad. Does she need a hug? She says she’d love one, and he hugs her. Olivia comes in, and watches from the doorway. Leo asks Brook, what’s wrong? and she says she’s just having a really bad day. He says, it must have been a doozy, and hugs her again. Olivia smiles.

At Windymere, Ava sips a martini and flashes back to Nikolas threatening her, and her hitting him with the statue. She puts the statue in the bottom of a cupboard, and there’s a knock at the door. She opens it to find Austin. He says he thought he’d surprise her. She looks great. She says, knock it off. All she wants from him are answers.

Spencer meets Alexis at a poolside table, and says, it’s good to see her. To what does he owe the invite? She says she just wanted to check in on her favorite nephew. See how he’s feeling; what he’s doing. Since his grandmother and step grandfather aren’t here, she’s the closest thing he has to a parent. Lucky him.

Lucy stands by the edge of the pool, and Martin comes up behind her, grabbing her shoulders. He says, be careful. She’s about two inches from ending up in the water. She needs to watch her step. She says, who cares if she falls in? Maybe she’ll just ruin her hair and makeup, and maybe this beautiful dress, which she happens to like quite a bit. It doesn’t matter though. She’s got a lot bigger problems. She’s about to lose her company and she feels utterly betrayed.

Martin says, as fetching as the thought of Lucy in that wet dress may be, as a jealous man, he doesn’t think he wants to share it with the rest of the patrons here. She says, fine. She’ll sit down. He says, that’s his girl, and pulls out a chair at a nearby table. They sit, and he says, first things first. What is she drinking tonight? She says she doesn’t feel like anything tonight, but he tells the waiter to get this lovely lady a Seabreeze, and he’ll have a whiskey and ginger. (Yes to both.) He asks if there’s anything he can do for Lucy, but she says, no. Doesn’t he get it? She’s really, really, really upset. Really upset. He says he understands. He’s sorry the preliminary hearing didn’t go her way. Surely there must be some way to salvage what’s left. She says, that depends on him and don’t call her Shirley.

Alexis tells Spencer that she has to admit it didn’t start out well, but it turns out that Esme – and she can’t believe she’s going to say this – is actually good at her job. He says he’s shocked, and she says she’s shocked. She knew Esme was smart and knew she was motivated, but she didn’t know Esme was competent. Having Ace there in daycare is an added bonus. Spencer says, she mentioned it was a big benefit, and Alexis says, it’s a benefit for her too. She goes in there all the time to get a boost, because when she sees that little rugrat, it makes her smile. He says, Ace amazes him every day. It’s difficult for him to remember there was a time when he was very, very hurt and very, very angry with his father for getting Esme pregnant. She says, babies make things better, and he says he can’t imagine life without Ace, and he’s very, very grateful Ace is his little brother.

Ava tells Austin that she’s grateful every day that Betty quit and hasn’t been heard from since. She hopes Betty is at the bottom of the harbor somewhere. Austin says, Ava would like that, wouldn’t she? From what he hears, she’s on vacation in Mexico. Ava says, a girl can dream. As long as she stays far away from Avery, and Ava never has to lay eyes on her again. He says he wouldn’t get his hopes up too high about that, and she asks what that’s supposed to mean. Mason wouldn’t have let her go if she hadn’t gotten the goods on Sonny. So she must have given him the proof they wanted about Sonny’s business with this Pikeman. He says, ordinarily, that seems reasonable he supposes, yeah, and she says, don’t do that. Don’t give her that doublespeak. The deal was, once the boss gets the information about Sonny and Pikeman, she was going to get Nikolas’s body back. So where is it?

Diane says, Robert isn’t even going to pretend he was on his way to somewhere else, like the records room or case management? That he’s really here to see little old her? He says, since she neglected to take him to the car show, he thought he’d bring the car show to her. She says, neglected? That’s how he’s framing it? No. He showed no interest, so she chose to take someone else. He says he chose to take her advice. He went out and bought a new car. So would she like to come for a drive in his new wheels? She says as much as she’d love to, and she would, she can’t come right now. She’s here on behalf of Drew Cain. Robert asks, how’s he liking Pentenville? and she says, come on. He’s not liking Pentenville. And let’s face it, that judge handed down a pretty harsh sentence on a pre-agreed upon plea deal. He says he’s not going to argue with her on that one, but what does she think she’s going to do about it now?

Brook tells Leo, thanks, buddy. She’ll be okay. Olivia asks what Leo is doing with that, pointing to I’m not sure what in his hand. Does he remember what he asked her to make for dinner? His favorite, manicotti. He doesn’t want to spoil his appetite, does he? He says, no, and she says, then march to the kitchen and put that back. (I just can’t imagine if a kid was having manicotti for dinner that a cookie or whatever would spoil their appetite. It certainly wouldn’t spoil mine.) He leaves, and Olivia asks Brook, what’s wrong? Did she and Chase have a fight? Brook says she and Chase are fine, but she can’t say the same about her friends. She let them down in the worst possible way. She betrayed them. Olivia asks what she means, and Tracy says she’ll explain.

Austin tells Ava, Betty’s gone. She’s never going to be around Avery ever again. Isn’t that enough for her? Ava says, actually, no. She’d like to see Betty get what’s coming to her. He says he thinks now would be the time for them to just keep a low profile and not make any big waves. She asks if he thinks she should just wait around for Mason to want something else from her, knowing he has the power to have her charged with murder. He says he’s just asking her to trust him right now, that’s all, and she says, trust him? She kept her part of the bargain. She paved the way for that psychopath Betty to have access to Sonny’s penthouse so she could spy on him. She wants Nikolas’s body back. He asks what she’d do with Nikolas’s body if she did get it back, and she says she’d do what she originally was going to do and put him in the Pine Barrens. God rest his soul. Austin says he’ll reach out to Mason. He’ll send Mason a text and see if there’s any way he can help. He thinks she can find a better place than the Pine Barrens, and she says, it’s better than putting him someplace around here. She thought about it and doesn’t think she could live here knowing his body was someplace on the island. It never occurred to her; she doesn’t want to live in this house, period.

Spencer tells Alexis, while he’s very grateful to have Ace in his life, he can never forget who Esme was and what she did to him and his friends. That’s always going to be a part of her past. Alexis says she’d never ask him to forget who Esme was; she certainly won’t. He says he would be remiss not to say she’s being a very good mom to Ace, and Alexis says, she appears to be, after what she’s seen watching Esme with him in daycare. He says he’s just so glad he gets the opportunity to be in his brother’s life, and that he gets the chance to help raise him. Even if it means living with Esme. She says, he’s such a good guy. She’s so proud of him. He says he thinks if he can co-exist with Esme, he can do just about anything, especially if it means giving Ace the happy childhood he deserves. She asks if he knows who he sounds like, and he says he’s afraid he knows what she’s going to say. She says, he sounds like his father, when he was Spencer’s age.

Martin says, they talked about this and decided it was best if he wasn’t involved, but Lucy says, no, no, no. He decided and he completely abandoned her in court. He says, that’s not fair; he explained that. She says, good explanation. Valentin again. Valentin needed him. Well, she needed him too. And he’s never completely explained why he can’t be involved in her lawsuit. He never told her, but now she thinks she knows. Remember when they were having all that pillow talk, and she told him about her idea about getting the idea for The Deceptor? He had an awful lot to say. He looks down, but she says, look at her. Did he steal the idea for The Deceptor from that scheming Tracy Quartermaine?

Tracy says, Brook asked her for a favor, and she did it for her. Brook says, she needed Tracy’s help, and Tracy used it against her, and Tracy says, then she asked Brook for a favor in return. She obliged, then didn’t like the outcome. Brook says, that is not what happened. Tracy blackmailed her, her own granddaughter. Olivia asks if this is true.

Robert and Diane walk into the empty courtroom, and Diane says she’s actually here at Carly’s behest to try and get Drew’s case reopened. She seems to think the judge had some kind of bias against Drew, and she’s trying to prove it. Robert asks what he can do to help, and she thanks him for the offer, but she’s not even sure what she can do at this point. She explained to Carly that it’s within the judge’s purview to ignore the plea deal and hand down a harsher sentence. He doubts Carly went for that, and she says, they’re talking about Carly. Of course (🍷) she didn’t. Hence the bias angle. Let’s face it, Judge Kim practically announced that he was sending a message to white collar crime; no more special treatment. He says, bias is subjective – she knows that – and unprovable. She says, but it’s Carly’s love for Drew that’s fueling this, and she’s a friend. As a friend, she told Carly that she’d look into it. He says he doesn’t know what she can do here, but good luck. He heads for the door, and she says she just wishes there was some way to get concrete proof about Judge Kim’s bias against Drew. He turns around.

Tracy says, like she’s been trying to explain to Brook. This is just business. Brook says, just business? and Tracy says, yes. That’s what she’s been trying to teach Brook. Brook says, since when does Tracy care about business again? She doesn’t even want to say the letters ELQ. Olivia says, that’s all Tracy cares about, and Tracy says, stay out of this. Brook says, despite Tracy’s reptilian exterior, she actually believed Tracy cared about this family, and Tracy says, she’s the glue that keeps this family together. Olivia says, except she was gone for over a year, and Tracy says, stay out of this. Olivia says, it’s my house, but Tracy says, it’s not your house. It’s Monica’s house. Alan’s biggest mistake. Brook asks if she’s done, but Tracy says she’s not. Brook needs to learn how a Quartermaine succeeds in business. Brook says, unbelievable. Tracy puts on this act like she cares. She stays with them. She eats Thanksgiving pizza with them. She mourned with them, and celebrated births with them. And she always saw Tracy as a strong, independent woman. Olivia says, also calculating, conniving, and ruthless, and Tracy asks if she doesn’t have a lasagna to make. Is Brook done? Brook says, no. Out of everyone in this family, she believed in Tracy. She always took Tracy’s side; she thought Tracy was misunderstood. Clearly, she was mistaken. She walks out.

Robert closes the courtroom door, and he and Diane sit down. He says he thinks it’s going to be an uphill battle for her to prove prejudice toward Drew, and she says, which is insane, given the content of Drew’s character. He saved Liesl Obrecht from Victor Cassadine just in time to save Willow’s life, for heaven’s sake. It’s not like he’s some sort of career criminal, sitting around exploiting security codes. Robert says, Drew is known for his integrity, which is why he finds it kind of weird a judge would throw the book at him. She says, so does she, and let’s face it (phrase of the day), that book was Kafka. He laughs, and she says, there is something he can do for her. He says, if it’s within his reach, definitely, and she says, considering Drew’s heroics, could Robert ask the WSB to put in a good word for him? He says, that’s not within his reach, and she asks, why not? He tells her, let’s just say, the Bureau isn’t going to lift a finger to help anyone at his request.

Josslyn says she gets why Dex thinks this was his choice, but it wasn’t, and he says, so now he doesn’t have a mind of his own? She tells him, that’s not what she’s saying. She’s saying, Sonny’s changed their plans. Actually, he’s canceled them. Dex tries to interrupt, and she says she gets that things change last minute, but they haven’t had any alone time together in like a week. He kisses her and says he has to go, and she says, so go. He says, it’ll happen. Things are just really intense right now. She asks when things aren’t going to be intense when it comes to Sonny. She just wishes her mom hadn’t destroyed the flashdrive, and Dex says, that was her decision to make. There’s nothing they can do about it now. She says, but that was their one chance to turn Sonny in to the Feds, and they blew it. She picks up the tub of dishes and goes inside.

Martin says, what? He did not under any circumstances steal the idea for The Deceptor from Tracy Quartermaine. Lucy says, really? So how come every time she tried to give him credit for being her inspiration, he got all cagey with her? Even when they were talking around Maxie and Sasha, she would say that, and he’d shut her down each and every time. He says, because, he could not in good conscience take credit for something he didn’t do. The Deceptor is genius. Tracy Quartermaine? Please. That idea was 100% Lucy’s. She says, apparently, now Tracy is claiming it as her own, and she’s convinced the judge… He’s decided they should have a trial – six months from now. He says, that gives her attorney half a year to prove that the case has no legal merit. She says, six months from now, Deception will be kaput. They’ll be bankrupt.

Alexis says, when Spencer was a baby, his father gushed about him. He was so excited to have a son, and wanted Spencer to have the best of everything. She thinks maybe he went a little overboard, because Spencer was precocious… Spencer says, and spoiled. That’s fine. She can say that. She tells him that she was going to say, maybe willful and indulged, and he says, she’s good at this. He’s seen her argue a case in the courtroom. She says, and there was a sweetness about him, just like his dad.

Ava tells Austin, the only reason she wanted Dracula’s castle was to spite Nikolas. To be honest with him, the place gives her the creeps. He says he’s so glad to hear her say that. She never struck him as somebody who’d like this goth décor. She says she doesn’t; it’s terrible. And now that Nikolas is gone, why should she be stranded out here? This place is full of nothing but bad memories. Right over there is where she and Nikolas had their last fight and he died. Why should she stay here? There’s a knock at the door, and she walks a million miles to answer it. It’s Mason, who says, to what does he owe the invitation? Ava says, it wasn’t an invitation; it’s a demand for payment in full. She wants what he promised her.

Tracy says she doesn’t want to hear a word out of Olivia, but Olivia says, she’s going to. It’s one thing to be mean to the rest of them, but how could she do this to Brook, of all people? She’s Tracy’s granddaughter. Tracy says she knows who Brook is, and Olivia asks if Tracy doesn’t know how Brook looks up to her.

Diane says, if Robert, of all people, doesn’t have sway with the WSB, then who does? He says he’s not at liberty to talk about Bureau business, but he can tell her that once their guy is figures out the housecleaning process, he’s on the outs. She asks, who’s on the ins? and he says, that remains to be seen. They’re not going to lift a finger to help Drew. She says, they’re not going to give assistance to help a hero? He says, Drew, Laura, and Curtis did the one thing in Greenland the Bureau couldn’t do, and it embarrassed them. On that note, they prefer to have Drew where he is rather than help him find freedom. (Didn’t they offer him a job?)

Martin says, Lucy makes things sound so dire. Surely things can’t possibly be that bad. Lucy says, actually, they kind of are and stop calling me Shirley. You know what the worst part of this whole thing is? He says, the lawsuit? and she says, obviously the lawsuit, but she feels gutted. She feels totally betrayed. He says, by who? and she says, by Brook Lynn Quartermaine. They gave her a job, and she’s been masquerading this whole time as a team player, but really she’s been spying for Tracy. She gave Tracy documentation she needed for this terrible lawsuit. He says, she used her own granddaughter. That’s low, even for Tracy Quartermaine. Lucy says, no, not really. The worst part is, now to save Deception, she has to give Tracy 75% of the company.

Spencer says he was actually talking about this to Trina the other day, and Alexis asks, how is Trina? He says, she’s wonderful, and Alexis says, she is; she’s lovely. He says, yeah. She’s been very concerned about her dad. Alexis says she was very sorry to hear what happened to Curtis, and he says, Trina has been worried sick, trying to get everything together so Curtis feels comfortable when he comes home. He just got out of rehab. Spencer thinks maybe it’s the focus on family that has allowed Trina to be so supportive of him being with Ace while Esme is around, especially since his father didn’t stick around for him. She says, he never misses an opportunity to go negative when it comes to his dad, and he says, it’s all his dad’s ever shown him. She asks if he’s ever thought one of the reasons is that deep down, he still loves his dad.

Mason says he can see why Ava is antsy. If it was him and it was his husband – sorry, ex-husband – whose corpse was on ice somewhere from a head wound with his DNA all over him, he’d probably be losing sleep. Ava says she kept her word. She got Betty the run of Sonny’s penthouse, and Betty got the information he wanted. She did her part. Now it’s time for Mason to do his. Mason says, if it was up to him, he’d drop Nikolas’s body off tonight, but it’s not, and she says, then call whoever it is he has to call, and make it happen. Austin says he doesn’t know if it’s that easy, and Ava says, why not? Mason says, because the powers that be decided. And they decided that Ava doesn’t get Nikolas until after the situation’s resolved. Ava says, what situation? Just tell whoever he answers to, she’s done everything they asked. What the hell do these people want? Mason says, just listen to Austin. Relax. It’s all going down tonight.

Diane asks if Robert is suggesting the WSB is manipulating circumstances to ensure that Drew received the harshest sentence possible, and he says, anything’s possible where the Bureau is concerned. She says, then there could be a connection between the WSB and the judge in Drew’s case, but he says, if such a relationship did exist, it would be almost impossible to prove. As she knows, the Bureau does most of its work in the shadows. She says, yeah. Well, she for one is not opposed to looking at every single one of Judge Albert Kim’s cases for the past four, maybe five, years. See if there are other cases of overly harsh sentencing that can prove a precedent. He asks what specific instances she’s looking for, and she says she’s just suggesting – suggesting, mind you – that said judge may or may not be receiving kickbacks for getting inconvenient individuals out of the way for, shall we say, powerful agencies. And if the WSB wanted Drew Cain out of the equation, pursuing an unrelated case could prove the perfect solution to the problem. He asks if she’s looking for instances where the judge handed down an overly harsh sentence? and she says, bingo.

Brook looks at another text to Chase: Going 2 Kelly’s. I really need you. She sits in one of the outside seats, looking like she has a headache, when Chase comes into the courtyard. He says he got her text. What happened? She says, Tracy happened. She had to get out of there. She can’t live with Tracy another minute.

Leo runs in and asks Olivia if Brook is okay. He saw her leave her car. Olivia says, she just needed a little time to herself, and Tracy says, she’ll be fine. Leo tells them, but she said she was having a really bad day. Should they do something? Olivia suggests checking on her in a little while, and Leo says, promise? Olivia crosses her heart, and Leo leaves. Olivia says, well? and Tracy says, what now? Olivia asks if Tracy doesn’t feel the slightest bit sorry for what she did, and Tracy says, for teaching her a valuable lesson? Olivia says, what? That Tracy will do anything to get what she wants? and Tracy says, a lesson she will remember and benefit from for the rest of her life. Olivia asks what exactly is it that Tracy thinks she taught Brook? and Tracy says, that nothing is free. If she hadn’t made Brook pay for the favor she did her, it wouldn’t have mattered as much.

Ava says, they’re done here. The launch is ready to take them back to the mainland. Austin and his cousin need to go. Now. Austin points at Mason and says, don’t put him in the same category as this guy, and Mason says, Austin’s right, he can’t. He’s far more handsome and easy going. Wouldn’t Ava agree? Ava says, definitely not, and Mason says he’s wounded. Ava says, whatever is happening tonight, when it’s over, she wants that body back. Does he understand her? Mason says, loud and clear. He’ll pass her message along. He just can’t promise the boss will be receptive. They leave, and Ava closes the door. Outside, Mason says, still feisty as ever, and Austin says, whatever Mason has going on tonight has nothing to do with him. He’s out. The boss said. Mason says he doesn’t know about that. He still has one night to go.

Martin says he’ll give Lucy this much, Tracy’s offer is appalling. 75% is highway robbery. Lucy says, yeah, it’s appalling. Tracy’s appalling. In fact, she would like to strangle Tracy; just wring her scrawny little neck. Martin says, if, on the other hand, giving her what she wants keeps Deception open for business, isn’t it practical to at least consider it? She says, no, no, no. Do not even say that. She’s not giving one dime of her hard-earned money for one single share in the company she worked so hard to build with her own two hands to that snobby, arrogant, entitled, selfish, spoiled heiress, Tracy Quartermaine. She’s not going to do it, and Tracy can just forget about it. He says, she has herself some strong feelings about Tracy Quartermaine, and she says, he doesn’t know the half of it. Tracy actually one time pretended to like her. Tracy pretended to be her friend to get her to use her one percent share of ELQ, so Tracy could be CEO over her nephew AJ. Alan always warned her about Tracy. He said, she’s a bad apple. Huh. She’s a lot worse than that. Lucy misses Mother Quartermaine. She did not have one bad bone in her body, but she always knew how nasty and mean-spirited and dark Tracy could be. She’s not doing it. She’s not going to let Tracy win. She’s going to fight Tracy to the bitter end. Martin says, what happens if it costs her Deception? What if the company goes bankrupt? What then? She says she guesses it’s a good thing she kept her realtor license.

Spencer says he doesn’t want to love his father. He doesn’t want to love him and he doesn’t want to miss him, because every time he thinks about him, it opens up those floodgates. All the memories and disappointment just come flooding back. Alexis suggests thinking about some of the good moments. There were good moments. Can’t Spencer hold onto those? Spencer says, no, because it always comes back to how his father prioritized Ava and everybody else. Their entire relationship, none of it was real. It was an illusion he made up in his mind. She says, it was not an illusion. It was very real. Spencer’s father has demons he was not able to battle. That happens; it happened to her. People have regrets, and all you can do is learn from them and move on. Spencer says, she’s nothing like his father, but she says, he lost his way. Has Spencer ever thought maybe that’s the reason he ran away? He says, it’s not exactly the first time his father has done this, so please don’t expect him to forgive him. Alexis says she’s not asking Spencer to forgive him. She’s asking Spencer to try and understand him. Spencer says he understands he and his brother are doing perfectly fine without him. That’s what he understands. She asks what he’s saying. That he doesn’t want his father found? That he doesn’t want his father back?

On the phone, Josslyn leaves a voice mail for Dex. She says she’s so sorry for the way they left things. Just please be careful tonight, and whatever time he’s off, please come see her. She just misses him. She loves him.

Brook says, this whole thing is her fault, but Chase says, not entirely. Brook says she betrayed her friends to please Tracy. Now Deception is getting sued and they might go bankrupt. He says, she doesn’t know that. In six months, the case could fall apart, and the judge might dismiss it. Brook says, and if he doesn’t, Maxie, Sasha, and Lucy could lose everything they worked so hard for. And that would all be on her. He says, no, it’s not, but she says she’s the one who set this whole plan in motion. Everything is a mess because of her. And why? Because her hell of a grandmother forced her to do it. She’ll never forgive Tracy for this. He says, honestly, he doesn’t blame her. What Tracy made her do is unforgivable. She says she can’t forgive Tracy, let alone live under the same roof as her. She doesn’t know what she’s going to do. He says, she doesn’t have to go back there, and she asks if he’s suggesting she rent a room on top of Kelly’s. Actually, that’s not such a terrible idea. He says, no. Move in with him. I so smelled that coming.

Olivia says she knows Tracy. There’s something else that’s driving her right now. She’s seen it in Tracy’s eyes ever since she got back. Tracy says, please spare her. Olivia doesn’t know her as well as she thinks she does. Olivia says she knows who does know Tracy – Ned. And if he were here right now, he could get through to her. Tracy says, but he’s not, and they’re stuck with Eddie Maine, the busker. She walks out.

Robert says, Diane could be spinning her wheels for months, trying to find a connection between this judge and the WSB. She says, yeah, but if there is a connection, she will find it. And the payoff could be substantial for Drew. He says, if she does, and she finds a leak, make sure it’s a solid one. (Is that kind of an oxymoron – a solid leak?) She says, to that, good sir, I say, easy peasy, and he laughs. He says he just can’t imagine anyone challenging her in court, and she says, he’s done it. So he knows many have tried, many have failed, and everyone lives to regret it. He says he’ll keep that in mind, and she laughs.

Ava picks up her phone and makes a call.

Lucy tells Martin that she’d sure like to know when and how Tracy started snooping around Deception. How did she get her claws in The Deceptor? He says he doesn’t know how you’d find out something like that, and she asks if he’s sure he didn’t come across any similar products that were in development when she started getting her idea about The Deceptor. Her phone rings, and she looks at it. He asks if she doesn’t want to get that, and she says, Ava Jerome. He says, maybe she should take it, and she answers, saying, this is a surprise. Ava says she hopes she’s not catching Lucy at a bad time, and Lucy says, no. Actually, she’s out with Martin. They’ve been having a very important discussion. What can she do for Ava? Ava asks if Lucy still sells real estate, and Lucy smiles. She says, it depends on the listing, and Ava says she wants to sell Windymere – Spoon Island.

Spencer says, it doesn’t matter, but Alexis says, of course (🍷) it matters. He says, his father abandoned Ace, just like his father abandoned him. He ran away, and he won’t be back.

Austin walks into a house we’re unfamiliar with, and says, he’s back. So how is he feeling tonight? Nikolas says he’s feeling great. Thank you, doc. It’s kind of you to ask. We see Nikolas sitting on the couch, drinking a beer.

Tomorrow, Kristina wants Sonny to be the first to know; Maxie shows the kids their new house; and Carly tells Josslyn that she’s not going to change Dex.

The challenge this week was avant-garde using architecture as inspiration. To get their design juices flowing, the designers were taken to Summit One Vanderbilt – see below and it will blow your mind. I’ve never been to this place before, and now I’m torn between wanting to check it out and fearing I’ll freak out if I do. The guest judges were Steven Kolb, CEO of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, and celebrity stylist Law Roach, who I’m somewhat familiar with. They were down to the final four, with the final three going on to the finale. None of the designs were my thing, but as usual, I was still impressed, especially since the designers only had 17 hours to complete their creation. The funny thing is, I can’t count the times they’ve been told not to be costumey, but it’s kind of hard to get around that when doing something avant-garde based on architecture. I fully expected Brittany to be out, which would have been ironic since it’s the challenge that sunk her the first time, but it was Rami, whose downfall was basically choosing the wrong damn fabric that caused the dress to look wrinkled. 🧹 Don’t Leave It For the Next Guy…

Another transport from Peacock, but new to me. I enjoy shows like Hoarders, and this one is kind of on the same spectrum. A Swedish Death Cleaning team helps people pare it down before their kids, family, or friends end up having to deal with it. Not all the participants are on the brink of the afterlife. Some have other reasons, and it’s not depressing like you might think. While I’m not crazy about the extra narration that tries to add humor, the team is interesting and the concept is one to live by even if you’re not dying at the moment. While I tend not to care what happens to my stuff after I die, since I won’t be here, I have been the recipient of a house full of someone else’s stuff, and it was quite overwhelming. I definitely see the point. Not to mention there are some good household hints along the way.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Nina sleeps on a couch in the hospital, Sonny’s arm around her. She wakes, and says she almost forgot where they were. Last night at the Quartermaines wasn’t a nightmare; what happened? Sonny says, it happened. Someone tried to kill Ava.

Nikolas goes to the reception desk, and says he’s been waiting for hours. Someone needs to give him an update on his wife’s condition. The nurse says she’s sorry, there’s been no update, and Nikolas starts yelling, demanding to talk to the head of surgery. Jordan comes along, and he tells her that his wife has been in surgery all night. Can she please help him find out something? She says she can try, and he says he just needs to know what happened to his wife. She says, that makes two of them.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Brook tells an officer that she was out on the terrace for a while, then helped distribute desserts. The officer says, before that? and Brook says, in and out of the kitchen. The officer says, and you? and Drew says he was probably on s’mores duty at the time Ava was injured. She says, and before? and he flashes back to him and Carly kissing. He says, manning the grill, and asks how much longer this is going to take. She says she just has a few more questions, when her phone rings. She steps away to take it, and Brook asks why Drew is so antsy. If he seems too eager to get away, they’ll think he has something to hide. He says, he wants to check on Carly.

THE MOSS BOWL IS BACK!!! 🎍 Do Carly and Sonny have shared custody? Carly pours coffee, and flashes back to flirting with Drew, and Drew kissing her. Josslyn comes in, and Carly says she didn’t expect Josslyn to be up for hours. She hands Josslyn some coffee, saying, she thinks Josslyn needs it more than her. Josslyn says she didn’t really sleep last night, and Carly says, of course (🍷) not. She saved Ava’s life. Josslyn says she just keeps replying it in her head. It’s like she’s outside her body watching as she holds that towel to stop the bleeding. She doesn’t love Ava, but she couldn’t let Ava die. Before she passed out, Ava was so scared. All she wanted was for Josslyn to hold her hand. Carly hugs Josslyn, and says, she’s so proud of her. She hates that Josslyn went through that. Josslyn asks if there’s any news, but Carly says, not yet. Josslyn says, Avery? and Carly says, she doesn’t know. She and Sonny are trying to decide when to tell her. Josslyn says she doesn’t think Trina knows either. She had a meeting at PCU this morning, and she’s supposed to come here after. There’s a knock at the door, and Trina waves through the window.

Elizabeth goes to Finn’s office, and says she got his messages – all five of them. He says he’s sorry. He couldn’t sleep. He felt horrible about what happened. It was all he could do to stop from driving to her house, so he kept calling, hoping she’d pick up. She says she should have, but he says, it’s okay. He was just worried. She seemed like she was in shock after what happened to Ava. She says she thinks what happened is pretty shocking, doesn’t he? He says, it’s horrible. It just seems like Elizabeth shut down. She wouldn’t let him drive her home. She says she doesn’t want to revisit last night. Being that close to violence really makes her nervous. He asks if she saw something last night.

Spencer is lying on his hotel room bed, when somebody starts banging on the door. He says, this better be a damned emergency, and opens the door. Victor says, it is a damned emergency.

Brook says she knew it. Something is going on with Drew and Carly. He says, Joss found Ava near death, so of course (🍷) he’s worried about Joss and Carly both. And Avery. Carly’s probably wondering what to tell her. He just wants to see Carly needs anything, and she says, as friends do, and smiles. He says, no offense, but what’s it to her? Why is she so interested in him and Carly? She says, before yesterday, pure nosiness, but today, she doesn’t want to see anyone waste as much time as she did.

Carly hugs Trina, and asks, how is she? Trina says, better than she’s been in a long time, and even better now that she sees the moss bowl 🎍 .  PCU just dropped the Title IX violation against her, and Carly says, that’s great news. Josslyn says, finally. Did they apologize while they were at it? Trina says she met with the Title IX coordinator and the dean, and they apologized for the previous finding. Nothing will be on her record, and she can continue with the rest of her classes. Carly says, that’s great on their part, and Trina says she hoped they would, but she was still nervous. Josslyn says she really wanted to go with Trina, but it was a crazy night. Trina says, that’s okay; it all worked out. She can really enjoy her party tonight. Carly says, her mom must be over the moon. Has Trina talked to her? Trina says, her mom is super excited they dropped the Title IX determination, but they really didn’t get to talk because her mom was getting ready for work at the hospital. She can’t wait to tell Ava. She thinks she’s going to stop by the gallery… Josslyn says, she doesn’t think there’s any point in going to the gallery today, and Trina asks, why? Did something happen to it? Josslyn says, no. Something happened to Ava.

Finn asks if Elizabeth was nearby when Ava got attacked. Did she hear something or see something? She flashes back to meeting Nikolas, and telling him, it happened again; she’s losing time. She tells Finn, she only knows what he knows, and he says, when he couldn’t reach her on the phone, he got a little worried. She apologizes, and says she didn’t mean to worry him. She just needed time to herself. He says, because she was angry with him for contacting Sarah. He was so wrong. He tried to apologize last night, but she said he wasn’t her anything. Does she still mean that?

The reception nurse goes with Jordan to answer a couple of questions, and Nina comes by with Sonny. She asks if Ava is out of surgery, and he asks what Sonny is doing here. Sonny tells Nikolas, don’t step any closer to him. Same as Nikolas; that’s what he’s doing here. Nikolas says, Ava is his wife. She’s nothing to Sonny. Sonny says, it’s not a competition. Ava is the mother of his child and a good friend to somebody that means a lot to him. Nina says, they’re not here to upset him. They’re worried, the same as him. Nikolas says he wants Sonny gone, and Sonny says, he wants Nikolas out of here, so he guesses neither of them is going to get what they want. Jordan asks if there’s a problem. She sincerely hopes not, since this is a hospital, and she’ll have no qualms about escorting them out. Sonny says, no problem, and Jordan tells Nikolas, the surgeon will come out to speak with him shortly. He asks if Ava is going to recover, and she says, they didn’t share details because she’s not family, but she believes Ava is in post op. Nikolas asks if she’s conscious. Did she say what happened?

Nikolas tells room service to send coffee in a carafe. On second thought, send two. Victor picks up Spencer’s clothes, and says he sees housekeeping hasn’t been here. Spencer apologizes for the surroundings, but doesn’t imagine Victor will be staying long. Victor says, Spencer doesn’t make it easy to track him down. Although registering here as Fred Flintstone was a dead giveaway. Spencer says, Carly banned him from the hotel, and Olivia has a long memory, so what was so urgent? Is Ava dead? Victor says, not yet. How does Spencer feel about that? Spencer says, ambivalent. Him? Victor says, much the same, and Spencer says, not angry? Victor says, that Ava was attacked? and Spencer says, that the attack wasn’t more successful. Victor says, that’s a rather callous point-of-view. Who would think that? Spencer says, the person responsible – Victor.

Drew says, so Brook and Chase are officially a thing now? and she says she doesn’t know what they’re calling themselves, but they’re together. He says, it’s about damn time, and she says, a lot of people were pulling for them. He says he’s happy they didn’t give up on each other, and she says, her too. Now can he see why she’s meddling? He says he has no idea, and she says, jokes aside, if he and Carly have real feelings for each other, if there’s a chance at happiness, don’t let this window close. He says, they actually did sort of have a breakthrough yesterday, and she says, and? He says, and that is the extent of her helpful nosiness. He’ll take it from here. He starts to leave, but the officer comes back, and says, he isn’t cleared to leave. She has a few more questions.

Trina says she has to go to the hospital, and Josslyn says, let her change, and she’ll go too. Carly asks her to check on the girls while she’s upstairs, and tells Trina, Avery stayed here last night. Trina says, poor baby. She can’t believe she’s been fighting over a stupid school judgment, and Ava’s been fighting for her life all night. Carly says, Trina’s school judgment isn’t stupid; she got her future back. Trina says, what about Ava’s future? Why didn’t they tell her what was going on? Carly says, because Josslyn didn’t home until after midnight; she had to give a statement to the police. And she didn’t tell Trina because she didn’t want Trina to miss her appointment this morning. It’s too important, and there’s nothing Trina could have done anyway. She understands that, right? Trina says she does. Thank God Joss found Ava. She just can’t… What about Avery? Does she know what happened to her mom? Carly says, they don’t want to tell her until they have some concrete information, and Trina says, she’s just so little to have her life turned upside down. She’s already dealing with a lot. Carly says, including her and Sonny’s divorce, and Trina says, but Carly is a constant, and Ava knows that too. Thank God Avery has Carly.

Victor asks if Spencer is suggesting he attacked Ava. He must still be suffering from his alcohol fueled evening. Spencer says, they all know the lengths Victor will go to protect this family. Perhaps he felt Ava was becoming a liability. Victor says, she was, but does Spencer really think he’d stab her? Spencer says, no, of course (🍷) not. Victor would never risk getting the blood spatter on his Italian loafers, but sending in an operative to kill Ava at a party with a million suspects is definitely in Victor’s wheelhouse. Victor says, clever boy, and Spencer says, the Police Commissioner probably has that figured out too. So it might be time for Victor to take an extended vacation, and look into the house at Cassadine Island. Victor tells Spencer not to mistake himself. He’s not complimenting Spencer on his cleverness on figuring him out. Rather on being clever enough to start deflecting suspicion from himself. Let him lay it all out for Spencer. Ava controls Spencer’s fortune, his money. In other words, she controls him. She flung the betrayal of Spencer’s father and girlfriend in his face, and turned his world on its axis yesterday. Spencer’s rage drove him to consume an obscene amount of alcohol, and loosened his inhibitions. The attack was up close personal, and Spencer has as much reason to kill Ava as anyone.

Nikolas says, he’s Ava’s husband, and she’ll talk to him, but Jordan says she has a few questions first. They step away, and Sonny tells Nina, it looks like Ava is going to be in recovery for a while before she goes to ICU. Does she want to get some breakfast? Nina says she’s not hungry. She’s going to stick around here. He says he’s going to check on Avery, and she says, of course (🍷). She thanks him for spending the night with her here. They see Nikolas talking animatedly with Jordan, and Nina asks, what’s up? He says, Nikolas seems more wound up than he usually is, and Nina says she thinks he’s probably terrified. Sonny wonders, of what?

Jordan tells Nikolas, as soon as she gets the all clear from Ava’s doctors, she’ll question Ava. Until then, does he have any information that could aid this investigation? He says, not really, and she asks if he’s sure that’s all. Things looked pretty tense with him and Sonny. Nikolas says, his nerves are raw, and he’s been up all night. He thanks her for the update, but now he needs some black coffee. She says he can’t go. She’s sure he doesn’t want to miss the surgeon. Until they arrive, help her out. Walk her through everything that happened with Ava at the picnic yesterday.

Elizabeth says she asked Finn not to interfere, and he called her sister? He crossed a boundary she’d clearly drawn. How is she supposed to feel about that? He says he understands. He shouldn’t have done it. Obviously, he won’t call Sarah back. She says, the damage is already done. Sarah is going to assume she messed up somehow. He says he never spoke to her; how would she? Elizabeth says he doesn’t know her, and he says, she’s right. He doesn’t know anything about her family because ELizabeth never speaks about them. He’s not trying to justify this, but the only reason he reached out is because he’s concerned about her and her health, and he felt like he had no other alternative. She says, than going behind her back? Ignoring her when she asked him not to mention her parents again? He says, it was arrogant of him, and disrespectful. Please let him know how he can make this right. She says, he can’t.

Spencer tells Victor, nice try. Despite his father’s betrayal, Spencer didn’t try to filet him – yet. Victor says, he almost believes Spencer. So he didn’t attack Ava? Spencer says, sorry. He was too busy emptying the contents of his stomach onto the Quartermaine azaleas. Victor says, that is curious. He was certain Spencer did it, and Spencer says, so Victor didn’t? Victor says, and leave Ava alive, and Spencer with no clear alibi? He may be many things, but sloppy is not one of them. Spencer says, he’s relieved to hear this, but he’d never turn Victor in. Victor says, nor I you. He hasn’t forgotten the reason Spencer is headed to Pentenville; turning down that plea deal, and not turning Victor in for arranging Spencer’s visit his mother’s grave. There’s a lot of strength in Spencer; more than his father. Spencer says, who was also at the picnic, and angry with Ava. Can his father account for his whereabouts? Victor says he believes not. Maybe he’s the one they should be looking to protect.

Nikolas says, he can’t believe a fun day has ended in this, and Jordan says, take his time. He says he wishes he could tell her where Ava was the whole time, but they were at the Quartermaines for hours. They were on the grounds, in the house. They spoke with Olivia and Sonny… She asks, when was the last time he saw Ava? and he says, in the den. She asks if they were alone, and he says, no; he was with Spencer. Ava left, and then it was just him and Spencer. She asks if Ava said where she was headed, and he says he thinks she was going to get a drink. She asks if Ava seemed upset or worried about anything, and Nikolas flashes back to Ava slapping him after he said only she was to blame for not healing things with Kiki. He wonders why Jordan is asking, and she says, she’s just trying to ascertain his wife’s state of mind. Has she had any conflicts with any recently, and troubling phone calls? He says, no, and she says, things are fine at home? He says he doesn’t know why she’s wasting time with him, when she could be out finding the person who tried to kill his wife. She says, they’re questioning everyone who was on the Quartermaine estate, and the department is actively engaged in tracking down leads. He says, Sonny and Ava are constantly having ongoing custody issues. Why isn’t Jordan grilling him? She says, as she stated, they’re questioning everyone. Why is he so resistant to providing answers? The doctor comes out looking for Nikolas.

Carly tells Trina, Avery has an entire family who loves her, Ava included. She’s sure Ava is going to make a full recovery, but whatever happens, she’ll always protect Avery like she’s one of her own. Josslyn brings Avery in, and Trina says, she’s getting to be such a big girl now. Josslyn says, too big for Donna’s bed, which is where she found Avery. Avery says, she was reading to Donna, and they fell asleep. Josslyn says, Donna is still out like a light, and Carly says, Avery is a wonderful big sister. Did she have fun sleeping with her little sis? Avery nods, and says she’s hungry. Carly goes over possible breakfasts with Donna, and Josslyn asks if Trina is ready to go. Trina says, Ava is her friend. She doesn’t know what she’s going to do if she loses her. Avery says she wants daddy’s pancakes, and Sonny comes in, saying, hey, kiddo.

Elizabeth – who is getting so very annoying now – says she didn’t appreciate Finn using her boys to justify his actions. He tells her, all he was saying is, they’re struggling too, and she says she’d never subject them to harm. He’s not a psychiatrist, and just because she shared some aspects of her life with him, doesn’t give him the right to intervene. He says, that’s not at all what he was doing. She has every right to be angry with him… She says, gee, thanks, and he tells her, everything he says is going to be wrong, right? If she wants to end things with him over this, he’ll understand, but he has something to say first. Then if she wants to leave, he’ll let her go. He loves her. He just wants her to be happy, and however she chooses to get there, he wants to be on that journey with her.

Spencer asks Victor, why should they protect his father? He is the worst of them, and that’s saying something in a family with Stavros and Helena. Victor says, Spencer never lived with Stavros and Helena. Nonetheless, they must protect their family first. Spencer pours the coffee, and says, he never agreed to that. Victor says he’s deeply disappointed in Spencer’s father, but Nikolas is also his grandmother’s son. How does Spencer think Laura would feel if she knew he turned his back on his father? Spencer says, grandmother asked them both to behave while she was away, and Victor says, Nikolas made a mistake. We Cassadines hold each other accountable in house. So if the police come asking questions, Spencer must say nothing to implicate his father. Spencer asks why he should lie for someone who’s done nothing but lie to him, and Victor says, he’s asking Spencer to just omit any reference to what he learned about his father and Esme yesterday. If he does, he may be rewarded. Spencer says, that sounds a little vague. What’s Victor going to do? Take him out for ice cream? He’d like Victor to be more specific. Victor says, protect his family, and Spencer might get his hands on his birthright earlier than he expected. Spencer says, even if he omits, what will Ava say when she wakes up? Victor says, assuming she does. Leave Ava to him.

The doctor tells Nikolas, they managed to repair much of the damage, but they’re keeping Ava in ICU, where they can observe her for possible complications. Nina wanders over, and Nikolas asks, what kind of complications? The doctor says, peritonitis, sepsis, bowel obstruction… Nina asks if it’s serious, and Nikolas nods to the doctor. She says, Ava’s condition is serious, but stable. Nikolas asks if he can see her, and the doctor says, briefly. He leaves with the doctor, and Jordan asks the nurse to let her know the minute Ava wakes up. The nurse says she’ll clear it with Ava’s doctor, and Nina asks, what about visitors? The nurse says, just those who are approved, like family. She leaves, and Nina tells Jordan, the person who did this to Ava is still out there. Like she didn’t know. Please do everything she can to find this monster who did this to her. Jordan says, they’ll chase down every clue, no matter where it leads.

Victor asks if he and Spencer understand each other, and Spencer says he understands what Victor expects, but he’s not fully convinced he should agree. Victor says, for heaven’s sake. Spencer went to great lengths to dupe his girlfriend into revealing Trina’s innocence, yet he won’t agree to mislead the PCPD for his father’s sake? Nikolas says, Trina must have heard by now, and jumps up to put on his shoes. Victor says, his concern for his friend is touching. He wishes Spencer would show the same kind of loyalty to his father. Spencer tells Victor, thanks for dropping by, but he can’t stay, and jets.

Sonny says he hopes Carly doesn’t mind; he let himself in. She says, special circumstances, and he says, one batch of chocolate chip pancakes coming up, but first, Avery has to clean that face and get dressed. Avery says, let her mix in the chips, and he says, as long as they make it to the batter. She runs upstairs, and Sonny asks how Carly is doing. Carly says, fine, and Trina asks if there’s any news about Ava. Sonny says he got a call on the way here, and she’s out of surgery, and they’re putting her in ICU. Trina says, they’re on their way there now, and he says, let Dex take them. He’s waiting for Sonny in front. Carly says, Josslyn told her everything that happened last night, and she says this Dex kid helped save Ava’s life. Josslyn says, Dex did more than help. He told her that he used to be a soldier, and if they’d waited for the ambulance, it wouldn’t have worked. He saved Ava’s life. Trina says, they both did, and Sonny says, Dex is a good guy to have around. Let Dex take them to GH and wait. Trina says, okay, and thanks him. They leave, and Sonny asks if Carly minds. She says, go ahead, and he starts taking out pancake making supplies. She asks if he was at the hospital all night, and he says, yeah. She nods, and says, she’ll get the griddle.

The officer thanks Drew and Brook for their statements, and says, they’ll be in touch. She leaves, and Drew says, he’s all for being thorough, but that was taking forever. He says he’ll see her later, but she says, one more thing before he goes. Chase has been crazy patient with her. It helps. He says he’s a pretty laid back guy, but he doesn’t share Chase’s fortitude. She says, nobody does, but he’s a close second on the thoughtful scale. Take his cues from Carly. He says, noted, and leaves. Brook’s phone rings, and she tells Chase that she was just thinking about him.

Elizabeth says she needs time to think, and Finn tells her, take all the time she needs. She says, whatever challenges she might have, let her work through them in her own way on her own time. He can do that? He says he can and he will. Advice will be given only when asked. It’s hard for him to not to try to heal; occupational hazard. That’s his challenge, and he has to realize he can’t always have things his way. She says she has to tell him something. Something really strange happened to her last night… There’s a knock at the door, and Finn says he’s busy, but Jordan says, it’s the Police Commissioner. He lets her in, and she says she only has a few questions. She sees Elizabeth, and says, great. She was looking for her.

Carly says, Donna is still asleep, so she’s not going to wake her up, and Sonny says, more pancakes for them. Carly sits down, and tells Avery that she and her daddy want to talk to her about her mommy. Avery asks if her mommy is coming over for pancakes, but Sonny says, she’s not able to do that. Her mommy got hurt last night. Avery asks if that’s why her mommy didn’t pick her up, and Carly says, yeah. Avery asks if mommy’s okay, and Sonny says, her mommy has a lot of people at the hospital taking care of her. Carly says, until her mommy is better, Avery is going to stay with them. How does that sound? Avery says she wants to see mommy, and Carly says she knows Avery does, but she doesn’t think Avery is old enough. Avery asks if she can see Daddy Nikolas.

Trina tells Josslyn, the nurse said it’s only family right now, but Trina can sit in the waiting area of the ICU. She thanks Josslyn for coming with her, and they hug. Trina thanks Dex for saving Ava’s life, and says, Joss told her that he’s the main reason Ava’s alive. Dex says, Joss did her part. It was definitely a team effort. Trina says she’s grateful to both of them. Can he see that Joss gets home and gets some rest? She’ll keep Josslyn posted. Trina leaves, and Josslyn says, Sonny couldn’t give Dex the morning off? Not even after saving Avery’s mother? He says he wouldn’t have taken the time, even if Sonny offered. He’s still feeling a little fuzzy after last night; it’s better to be working. She thanks him for stepping up. Ava isn’t her favorite person in the world, but she’s Avery’s mother and a dear friend of Trina’s. She couldn’t have done it by herself. She’s really glad he was there. He says, ditto, and she says, sorry for freaking out so much, but he says, he’s seen people with a lot more training completely lose it over a lot less.

Jordan says she’d like brief statements from Finn and Elizabeth about last night, and Elizabeth says, of course (🍷). Finn asks if she’d like a seat, but Jordan says, that’s not necessary. She looks at Elizabeth, and says, ouch. What happened to her head? Elizabeth says, a tree branch at the Quartermaine picnic, and Jordan says, be thankful she suffered nothing worse there. Finn asks if there are any leads, and Jordan says, her team is constructing a timeline. This was a particularly vicious crime, with a woman’s life hanging in the balance. Until she can question Ava, she has to rely on other people’s accounts. With so many people there, anyone could be an eyewitness and not even realize it. That’s why it’s vital she gather information while it’s still fresh. Finn says, of course (🍷), and Jordan thanks him. She hopes with everyone’s help, they can piece it together, and identify this butcher, whoever he or she is.

Ava lies in a hospital bed, and her door closes. Nikolas comes in, and stands by her bedside. Trina arrives, and looks at them through the window. Someone puts a hand on her shoulder, and she turns around to see Spencer.

Avery says, Daddy Nikolas must be worried about mommy too. Can she see him? Please? Sonny tells her take one more bite, then they’ll go. He feeds her a forkful of pancake, and Carly says, take her car; the booster seat is already set up. She hugs Avery, saying, she’s a strong girl. Avery leaves with Sonny, leaving Carly alone with the moss bowl 🎍. She puts the pancake stuff away, and Drew comes to the door. He peeks in, and she smiles. She tells him that he’s here early. Would he like some coffee? He says, that would be great. He’s been thinking a lot about last night. It’s all he’s been thinking about actually. She says, every five seconds? and he says, it’s pretty much constant. She says, she’s been thinking a lot about it too.

Sonny and Avery get to the hospital, and Nina is there. Sonny says, Avery knows Nina, right? and she says, mommy’s friend. Nina says she’s her mommy’s really good friend, and Avery asks if Nina is here to see her mommy. Nina says she’s hoping, and Sonny asks how she’s doing. Nina says, she’s doing okay. She was moved to ICU. She’s just waiting to find out when she can see Ava. He asks if they can wait with her, and she says, it would mean the world to her. She takes Avery’s hand, and they go to the elevator.

Josslyn thanks Dex for not calling Sonny over, and he asks if she’s avoiding him. She says she doesn’t feel like dealing with Nina right now, and she has to go. She hates the thought of leaving Trina alone. He says, plans? and she says, yeah, with Cam, her boyfriend. He says, the guy he met at the pool the other day? Don’t worry about Trina. The boss will let him stay and make sure she gets home. Josslyn says, dutiful to a fault, and he says he likes to see his commitments through to the end. She says she wishes she could say the same about his boss, and leaves.

Jordan says, based on the blood loss at the scene, her team believes Ava was injured shortly before she was discovered. That gives them a short window for the approximate time of the attack; somewhere between 9:45 and 10 pm. Finn says, that’s probably around the time he ran into Maxie, and spoke to her briefly. Jordan thanks him, and asks if Elizabeth remembers where she was during that time.

Trina says she wasn’t expecting to see Spencer here, especially knowing how he feels about Ava. He says he’s sorry Ava got hurt; mostly because it hurts her. He figured she’d be here. She says, he’s here for her? and he says, always. And as his Uncle Victor constantly reminds him, they support family no matter what, and Ava is family. She says, and he wants to support his father too.

Nikolas sits next to Ava’s bed, and says, if only she’d listened to him. It never would have come to this.

Tomorrow, Sasha asks when Brando stopped believing in her; Anna says she has no doubt she has Victor to thank for that; and Drew tells Carly that he feels they’re on the brink of something incredible.

I always think it seems so stupid for an adult to unfollow or unfriend. I don’t have tons of FB friends because I like to actually know the people I let into my life. Although if your profile pic includes a dog, you’re probably in. Years ago, I noticed I was a friend down, looked at the list, but couldn’t figure out who it was. Then about a year later, I found out someone I knew from karaoke unfriended me because of a perceived insult from a mutual friend. I found out from a neighbor who went out with her via a dating sight. She made him swear not to tell me, but he couldn’t get on the phone fast enough. The moral of the story is, it was just as well.

At Charlie’s Brook told Julian, as long as he accommodated the occasion favor, she wouldn’t have to tell anyone that he’d tampered with Brad’s car and caused the accident. He asked if that was her idea of gratitude, and she said he’d helped pass off a stolen baby as his grandson. When Brad got squirmy, Julian had tried to silence him, and Lucas ended up in a coma. He should be grateful someone worse didn’t know his secret. Someone worse Nelle listened in from the back. Michael went to the MetroCourt with Willow, and told Sonny and Carly that Willow had agreed to marry him. Carly welcomed her to the family, and Willow said it was best for Wiley. Carly said it was best for all three of them, and Sonny asked when it was happening. Michael said he hoped tonight, and Sonny asked to speak with him privately. Lucy was making Sasha keep ice on her nose at The Floating Rib, saying Sasha had to be camera ready for the photo shoot tomorrow. The photographer was expensive, and already booked and paid for. Sasha said her cheeks were numb, but Lucy said they’d thaw. She hated that she’d agreed to a non-airbrushed shoot, and said she’d sue Brook if they had to reschedule. She told Sasha that she’d been where Sasha was, and understood what it was like to be labeled the town tramp. On the phone, Ned told Tracy that he was trying to salvage the Med Tech deal. He intended to carry on as CEO, but he couldn’t force Michael out. Monica came in, and asked what was going on. At the hospital, Trina told Portia that she felt better, but it was because Portia was a great mom, not because she despised Jordan any less. Portia said Jordan wasn’t responsible for what happened to Trina’s father. Trina said, no – he is. Cyrus came by, and Trina got in his face, saying she knew who he was. Cyrus said he was sorry about her father, but Trina wasn’t having it, and said someone had to stop him. Cyrus said there must be a misunderstanding, and Curtis appeared, telling Cyrus, back off. Stay the hell away from her. Cyrus said they hadn’t been introduced, but Curtis said Cyrus knew good and damn well he was Jordan’s husband, and he knew everything about Cyrus. He told Cyrus to play his game somewhere else, and stay the hell away from Trina and Portia. Cyrus said, for the record, Trina had come to him, and he thought there was no harm in offering his condolences. Jordan told Cyrus that they needed to discuss some things. Trina wondered why Curtis was butting in now when he’d left her father to die.

Monica asked if Brook had been arrested again, and Ned said she’d reached out to him, but he’d refused to rescue her. Monica told him, tough love could have unintended consequences; look at his mother and Edward. What if leaving Brook fend for herself made it worse? Sasha asked Lucy if she was being called a tramp, and Lucy said, who cares? People cheated all the time. Lucy said she was there for Sasha, and understood how a good person could find herself cheating. She’d hurt Doc, and it took time, but now they were friends. Doc was happy and she was successful. All’s well that ends well. Martin waited for Nelle, and mumbled that she was trying his patience. Where is that nut case? Brook asked if Julian would take her home, but he said he’d done enough for one day. His phone rang, and it was Leo calling from Olivia’s number. He said, Ned did what? and told Leo he’d be right there. He told Brook that she’d be getting a ride after all. Leo was upset, and said Ned had done something. They left, and Nelle called Martin. She said she was on her way, and he hoped whatever kept her was important; he was charging her for his time and his dinner. She said she had the feeling it would be useful. Carly told Willow that she was grateful Willow had agreed to marry Michael. She knew Willow wasn’t Wiley’s birth mother, but she’d been every bit his mother by her actions. She’d put Wiley first, and Carly couldn’t have picked someone better, but was it what Willow wanted? She knew Willow loved Chase. Willow flashed back to her and Chase moving in together. Sonny asked Michael if this was what he wanted, and Michael said Willow was the perfect stepmother for Wiley. Sonny said the marriage would last beyond the court date. Was Michael willing to live in a loveless marriage? Michael said love hadn’t worked out that well for him. He and Willow had been friends for some time. He liked and trusted her, and they both loved Wiley. Sonny asked if Michael thought that was enough, and Michael said he was doing what he had to for his son. Cyrus told Jordan, her husband was protective, and Jordan said, that was Curtis, but she didn’t need protecting. He said he remembered how capable she was, and thanked her for seeing justice had been served – even if it was years late. She told him that they were alone, and he didn’t have to keep up the act. He said he looked forward to her acting on his behalf, now that he was a resident of Port Charles.

Portia told Trina, it wasn’t Curtis’s fault her father had died, and she was grateful Curtis had saved her. Michael told Sonny that Willow had made sacrifices too, and Wiley was the most important thing. Nelle was a priority, but they could give Wiley stability, and a happy home with parents who respected one another. He was taking it as a win. Sonny said he’d make some calls to get a license. Monica told Ned that he’d done a wonderful job, and thanked him for stepping in while Michael cleared up the mess up with Wiley. Ned said, family looked after family; it was the Quartermaine way. Brook came in with Julian, who wondered where Leo was. Ned said he was sleeping upstairs, and Julian asked for Olivia. Monica said Olivia was also sleeping; she’d had a migraine, and Monica had given her something. Julian said Leo had called him all upset, saying Ned was being mean. He was sobbing. Ned said Leo was playing Julian. He and Olivia had told Leo that he couldn’t have a pet snake. Julian asked to have a chat with Leo, and went upstairs. Ned asked what the hell Brook was doing with Julian. Nelle joined Martin, who said she was just in time for the bill. She said they needed to talk strategy. She saw Sasha, and bugged her about cheating on Michael, saying poor Willow couldn’t catch a break. Jordan said Cyrus was right to say she served all the people in Port Charles, and he said he was sure their paths would cross again soon.

Trina told Portia, she’d begged Curtis to go back, but he refused, and now his wife was trashing her father’s reputation. Portia said she was glad Curtis had rescued Trina, and as much as they wished it wasn’t true, her father had crossed the line. Curtis said Jordan hadn’t wanted to do it, but Cyrus was dangerous, and Trina needed to steer clear of him. Trina said Jordan was the reason Cyrus was free in the first place. She and Curtis were just as bad as he was. Lucy said Sasha needed to brace herself; Michael was marrying Willow. Sonny just called her to officiate. Nelle said Michael couldn’t marry Willow, and Lucy said he could. He was from two families who were pillars of society, and a Spencer too. He could do whatever he wanted. Sasha flashed back to telling Chase that she thought Michael and Willow would get married, and in time, Willow would fall in love with Michael and be the happiest woman in the world. Lucy said, it must be important, but like it or not, Michael gets what he wants. She suggested Sasha go home and rest; she didn’t need the aggravation. Nelle stomped over to Martin. Brook told Ned, a loving father wouldn’t have hung up on her and left her to rot. He said, so she called Julian? and she said, he was the only one available. Ned wondered if Brook being arrested was going to be a regular occurrence, and she said she was defending Michael’s honor, when her boxing mitt accidentally collided with Sasha’s face. We flashed back to that, and Ned asked if Sasha was pressing charges and was it online already. Brook said, no and no. It would have been over, but Chase got on his high horse and wrote her a ticket. The doorbell rang, and it was Josslyn. Brook asked what was up, and Josslyn said Michael and Willow were getting married there tonight. Nelle told Martin, it was obvious what Michael was trying to do, but he said no one could object to Michael marrying a lovely woman he’d known for over a year. Nelle said they needed a counter move now, and told him to earn his money. Monica said she couldn’t be happier, and Ned said he could see it as a legal strategy, but didn’t see how it could work. Brook said Ned wasn’t in a position to give advice, since Tracy had blackmailed him into marrying Katherine Bell. Josslyn said Willow loved Wiley, and just might be good enough for Michael. Sonny, Carly, Michael, and Willow arrived, and Michael asked if they were ready for a wedding.

Curtis agreed that Cyrus should be in prison, but said Jordan had been serving the greater good. Jordan said she was sorry, and Portia told Trina that she had to calm down. She’d just tried to do battle with a dangerous criminal. Portia asked her to promise to stay away from Cyrus, and Trina said she would, if Portia promised Curtis and Jordan would stay away from her. Brook welcomed Willow to the family – God help her – and went to look for a dress for Willow to wear. Sonny thanked Monica, and she asked who was going to officiate. He told her, Lucy, and she asked if he couldn’t find anyone other than Alan’s ex-bimbo. Sonny asked why Julian was there, and Julian said his son lived there. He told Sonny to give Michael and Willow his best wishes. He loved Wiley, and Wiley deserved to be with them, not Nelle. Martin told Nelle that he’d present the best possible case, but Nelle said now Michael was marrying Snow White. He said he couldn’t prevent that any more than he could conjure up a husband for Nelle, and she called him a genius. He said he wasn’t going to marry her, and she said he didn’t have to. Michael asked how Willow was holding up. She told him that she wasn’t a fragile flower, and he said he knew that. He thanked her, and she said she loved Wiley. Now he’s going to be her son again, and she was the one who was grateful. He said mutual gratitude wasn’t a bad foundation, and gave her his great grandmother’s ring. He said he hadn’t known Lila well, but she was generous, kind, and saw the good in people, but was nobody’s fool. The bickering and fighting never touched her. She was a better wife than Edward deserved, and an amazing mother. Michael put the ring on Willow, and of course it was a perfect fit.

Sasha met Chase at the pier. She said it was hitting her hard; Michael and Willow were getting married tonight. Lucy brought the license to the Quartermaine mansion, and told Sonny the judge sent his best wishes. She told Sonny that there was a one-day waiting period, and Sonny said he loved a midnight wedding; technically, at midnight, it would be tomorrow. Carly brough Wiley down to join them. Sasha told Chase that Lucy got the call, but the toughest part was seeing Nelle. If not for her, this wouldn’t have to happen. Chase asked if Nelle knew about the wedding, and Sasha said Nelle overheard, and went zooming over to her lawyer, then left. She doubted Nelle could get past the gate, but thought Michael should be warned. Chase wondered who would take a call from them. Josslyn came downstairs with bouquet she’d miraculously whipped up. Carly’s phone rang, and she told Sasha that it wasn’t a good time. Sasha said Nelle knew Michael and Willow were getting married, and she thought they should have a heads up. Carly said, nothing was getting in the way of the wedding tonight.

Jordan told Curtis that Cyrus hadn’t left the hospital yet. They saw him come by, and Curtis told him visiting hours were over. Cyrus said he was on his way out, but asked if Jordan’s son didn’t work there. He believed TJ was working tonight. Curtis said it was none of his business, but Cyrus said his interests were far-reaching, and that shouldn’t be underestimated. Nelle banged on Charlie’s door. Julian said they were closed but she was insistent. When he answered, she told him that he’d want to hear what she had to say.

The ceremony started, Willow coming down the stairs in a gorgeous gown, that again fit her perfectly. Sasha and Chase had a beer, and Sasha asked if Chase knew where the phrase a far, far better thing came from. He didn’t, so she explained the plot of a Tale of Two Cities. She told him how Sidney had taken his lookalike’s place at the guillotine, and that as he went to his death, he said, it’s a far, far better thing I do than I have ever done before, and it’s a far, far better rest I go to than I have ever known. Chase said at least their heads weren’t being chopped off, and they toasted to Sidney

Michael and willow exchanged vows, and Lucy pronounced them husband and wife. They kissed, and everyone applauded.

The Real Housewives of New York City

Ramona checks out Scarpetta, the venue for her party. She’s brought Leah along, and says she wants the room totally transformed. She has sixty girlfriends who don’t like set tables. At the townhouse, Sonja finds water in the basement, and says she’s starting from scratch. She’s looking for a new renter. LuAnn gives her pup a bath, and says he’s feelin’ Jovani. Ramona asks Leah what she’s wearing to the party, and tells her not to be too revealing or flash anyone. In Ramona’s interview, she says a lot of her girlfriends are petite blonds, and she wants to stand out. The dress code is all black, and she’s going to wear read. Larry says, it’s going to be amazing. In her interview, Ramona says, normally, she’d have Dorinda and Sonja do a walk-through with her, but the way they acted at Larry’s was embarrassing. She tells Leah that she’s psyched, and she’s going to avoid drama. She wants Leah to shield her from déclassé. In Leah’s interview, she says if Ramona is scared of being embarrassed, what kind of women are coming? The Upper East Side facelift crowd? Leah suggests giving Dorinda and Sonja water instead of vodka.

LuAnn meets Sam, director of the Fortune Society, who helps people who just got out of prison get acclimated to society. LuAnn tells Sam that they do good work. In her interview, she says, after she was incarcerated, her eyes were opened to the plight of people who have been incarcerated for many years. They don’t have a job or a place to live. The Fortune Society helps and advocates for them. She says she can’t imagine what it’s like to be incarcerated for more than twenty years. She can’t compare her story, but she doesn’t want to have gone through the experience and not help others. Founder David tells her that he’d gone to the juvenile section in Rikers and it was an exercise in futility. Coming back to society, they had to be better. Sonja joins LuAnn, and in her interview, she says she wants to support LuAnn, who has been giving back in a big way. It’s not just about her; it’s about everyone else who’s had the experience in a bigger way. The former inmates gather, and sit in folding chairs. Sam asks how they got there, and what they want to get out of the group. One woman says she wants serenity, and a guy named Eric says he was in prison for thirty years. He’s 54 now, and has kids; it’s priceless. It was like he lived in a bathroom, since he was in solitary confinement, and he was never living in his bathroom again. Alumnus Rodney says they can do it, and LuAnn gets weepy. In her interview, she says, it’s a beautiful thing to see people who have suffered so much, and hear them be optimistic and look forward to the future. Sam says LuAnn seems emotional, and asks her to introduce herself. She tells the group that she got in trouble In Palm Beach. She got intoxicated, assaulted a police officer, and resisted arrest. She got charged with three felonies, and knows the pain of wearing shackles and handcuffs, and the pain of shame. It happened for a reason, and she learned and grew from it. She had to look at herself, and prays for all of them. LuAnn says she’s happy to be there, and Sam says she’s offered to work with them, and take some of the women for a spa day. In LuAnn’s interview, she says a spa day makes you feel good, and the women deserve to feel good about themselves. She does a group hug with the women.

Avery and Ramona go out to dinner, and Mario joins them. In Ramona’s interview, she says they’ve always loved an Italian restaurant, and follow manager Salvatore wherever he goes. She says people don’t get her relationship with Mario. He lives in Florida full time, and when he comes to New York, they plan nights as a family. She and Avery love it. Mario tells Avery that he just got a flashback. Her mom was pregnant with her, and went to the ladies room, and her water broke. She came out, and said she thought they had to go, but Mario didn’t realize what was going on, and said they hadn’t had their entrée yet. Salvatore pours their wine, and says he remembers; he was in the kitchen when Ramona said she was having a baby. In her interview, Ramona says people don’t get it, and wonder how she can talk to Mario after what he did, but she had to let it go. Mario was angry at her after the divorce, but she worked on it for Avery’s sake, and they came together as a family. Ramona talks about her party, and says there aren’t going to be any men, since she’s not in a relationship. She asks Mario if he’s in a relationship, and he says, define relationship. She says someone you go out with every Saturday night, talk to every day, and look forward to seeing. Mario says, dating is a bitch, and Avery says, he’s working on his golf. In Ramona’s interview, she says Mario squirms when she asks if he’s seeing anyone, and says they’re just a friend. Men. Who can figure them out? Avery toasts to spending time together as people. She loves them. Ramona tells Mario to tell Avery that he loves her too, and he does.

Leah and sister Sarah go to Spa88. Leah says it’s one of the top best three places in the world for people watching. There are a lot of kooks, but it’s interesting. Sarah asks how the Berkshires was, and Leah says, Dorinda went above and beyond. Tinsley is gone, and it breaks Leah’s heart, but she’s getting her castle in the sky. We see a picture of Tinsley and Scott dressed up like a fairytale couple; the sisters can’t decide which one. In Leah’s interview, she says she needs to take notes. She needs a guy with money. She has to take care of a kid already, and can’t take care of another one. She needs a man to take care of her. She tells Sarah that she had a sweet moment with Ramona. We see a clip of Ramona telling Leah that she has to heal the relationship with her mother. Leah tells Sarah that wants to get closer to Bunny, and stop acting like a teenager around her. Sarah says, even when Bunny says something that seems nice, it’s coming from an internal projection. She’s screwed up, and can’t give Leah what she needs. In her interview, Leah says it’s time to take things into her own hands and put in the work. Sarah says Bunny doesn’t like them, and Leah asks if she said that. Sarah blesses herself, and says God forgive her; she’s so mad. Bunny said Leah was looking fake in the face, and wondered how it was going to affect poor Kier. Leah says she only had her lips and Botox done, but now she’s getting a whole overhaul. In her interview, she says she thinks an apology is not on the table anymore. Bunny has some explaining to do. She asks if she can say Sarah told her, and Sarah says she’s all for full transparency.

Ramona weeps with joy when she sees Scarpetta fully transformed. Leah visits Dorinda. Sonja tells assistant Matthew that she’s stressed. She rented out her apartment, and is paying the overhead on the townhouse, where the toilet doesn’t work, and the elevator is still broken. It’s costing $50K a month, and she can’t get ahead. Dorinda tells Leah, something is going on with Sonja. She was kicked out of a bar in Philly. Leah says she saw Page Six. In Dorinda’s interview, she says she and LuAnn went to Philadelphia to hear Sonja speak at Wharton. We see a clip of Sonja telling the students to be themselves. Go for their passion, and they’ll find their way if they follow their heart. Dorinda says they went home, and Sonja stayed. Sonja got kicked out of a gay bar, and she wishes they’d stayed. Leah says, after the Berkshires, she felt she and Sonja were in a good place. She feels bad that Sonja is going through some sh*t. Sonja says she can’t afford live there, and tells a guy named Mike that she put in cheap rugs, so it can easily be redone. In her interview, she says she’s looking to redo everything in white, black, and brass; it’s what renters want. She’s filling house the house with tsotchkes again, and getting ready for a potential renter. It’s never-ending stress. Elyse drops by Dorinda’s, and Dorinda says they were talking about Sonja. Leah tells Elyse that Sonja got thrown out of a gayborhood bar Philly, after singing Hello Dolly. Geez, was it that bad? Sonja tells Mike, she’s a fan of, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, but was told the place looked dated and old lady. The toilet starts running, and she says this is the third time she’s fixed it. Elyse says she took Ramona out to lunch for her real birthday, and Leah says she’s sick of Ramona’s judgement. Ramona told her to make sure to wear something where not everything was falling out. Elyse suggests she wear something with everything falling out. Dorinda says she has exactly what Leah should wear, and goes into her bedroom. Elyse tells Leah, everyone is supposed to wear black, and she’s sure Ramona will be in a bright color. In her interview, Leah says she can’t believe Ramona is concerned about what she’s wearing. Who cares? Dorinda brings out a pair of lacy tap pants and matching bra, and gives them to Leah. In Leah’s interview, she says she’s wearing what she wants to; she’s not listening to Ramona. She says she heard Ramona stopped following Elyse, and says that’s being a mean girl. Ramona has the mean girl juvenile side, and then there’s the amazing Ramona side. Elyse says, Ramona doesn’t mean to be hurtful. Dorinda says Ramona knows exactly what she’s doing, and Elyse is giving an excuse for Ramona sh*tting on her. She’s an unaccountable bitch. In Dorinda’s interview, she says Elyse has Stockholm Syndrome. She likes to be battered by Ramona. Dorinda goes back into her bedroom, and comes out wearing a cocktail dress with a fake front that has humongous boobs. Leah says Dorinda has to wear it.

Ramona arrives at Scarpetta in what she calls red, but I call bright pink. Her sister Tanya is with her. In her interview, Ramona says she’s excited about the party. Everyone who’s important to her is there, including her sister, who lives upstate, so it’s difficult for her to visit. Sonja picks up LuAnn, and asks why Ramona tries to be cool by having her parties downtown, when everyone lives uptown? I wonder, if you can afford a limo, what difference does it make? Sonja says she didn’t want to come, since she wasn’t invited to last year’s party. We flash back to mutual friend Lucia asking Ramona if she wants to invite Sonja, and Ramona saying, no. Sonja says they were all at her baby shower, and her kid is 19 now. They were her longtime friends. In LuAnn’s interview, she says, Sonja has been agitated lately. Ramona saying she has 50 friends is a trigger. We flash back to Ramona telling Sonja, without these 50 women, she wouldn’t be where she is today, and Sonja saying, STFU. Sonja tells LuAnn that these are Ramona’s social friends.

The text at the bottom of the screen counts Ramona’s friends as they appear. Sonja has a price tag hanging from her dress, and LuAnn suggests she take it off. Sonja says she never has time, and then can’t find the scissors. She asks one of the staff for a knife. In Ramona’s interview, she says her so-called real friends didn’t pay attention to the dress code, and the friends who they said weren’t her read friends wore black. She can feel the love in the room, and she’s tickled red. Leah shows up in a sheer black number. Sonja is in rainbow sequins, and in her interview, she says, who wears black to a party? Not at her age. She’s sparkling. At this point, we’re up to #32. Leah says they’re off to a great start to a probably amazing evening. She leaves her coat on, and waits for Ramona to notice her, but Ramona is too busy babbling to her not friends social friends. In her interview, Leah says, bitch, where‘s the bar?

We hit #50. Leah tells Elyse, all she’s hearing about is people who are on the board of some foundation; it’s like Dynasty. She stood near Ramona to say happy birthday, but Ramona isn’t acknowledging her. Ramona tells Dorinda. Larry pulled it together. Leah tells Ramona, happy birthday, and Ramona makes a fuss over Leah’s dress. She tells Leah how hot she looks, and says if men were there, she’d tell Leah to put on a slip. In Leah’s interview, she says it’s a Norma Kamali dress with a body suit attached to it. It’s form fitting, not revealing. Ramona wonders why Sonja’s been so quiet, and LuAnn thinks maybe she’s embarrassed about getting kicked out of the piano bar. Dorinda says Sonja hasn’t spoken a word to her in days, and she’s worried about her. LuAnn says Sonja has some kind of sadness going on. In LuAnn’s interview, she says, Sonja is going off the rails with her drinking. Normally, she can reel it in, but the string on her fishing pole is going way out, with no fish in sight. Ramona jumps on Sonja, who spins her around. Sonja swears that she didn’t know about the black thing, and Ramona says she wants Sonja to look however she wants. It’s her birthday soon too. Let’s shine. In Sonja’s interview, she says the birthday Ramona is talking about will never be celebrated. She doesn’t even know the day. Dorinda tells the women that she thought it would be a great idea for them to take a week in Mexico; they need a girls trip, and Leah has never been on one. I guess Rhode Island didn’t count? LuAnn reminds everyone of the gift that keeps on giving – her falling in the bushes on their last trip to Mexico. Ramona tells Leah not to throw any torches. We flash back to that, and in Leah’s interview, she says she wishes Ramona would let it go. She already has to deal with her real mother not liking her. Now she has to deal with mommy dearest.

Ramona takes the mic, and says all the women there have helped her in so many ways. She sold her apartment in June, and was getting depressed. On Sunday, she would think, oh my God, I’m alone, and that she’d never have a man in her life. Because of them, she realized she loved herself. Dorinda interjects that she gave Ramona a dildo for that. Ramona pretty much ignores the remark, and says the party is a celebration of all of them. They mean so much to her. She gets weepy, and in Sonja’s interview, she says, it’s the same old speech every year. Now can they get back to drinking with the 99 other women? Dorinda takes Sonja aside, and says she feels like they’ve gotten close. She thinks Sonja is a strong beautiful woman, and a deserving soul; her kindness abounds. She thinks Sonja is suffering, and worries about her. When she doesn’t hear from Sonja in four days, she wonders what’s going on. Sonja says she’s stressed, and Dorinda says the townhouse is a burden. LuAnn sits with them, and Sonja says she hides when she’s going through something. LuAnn says she’s worried about Sonja too. In Dorinda’s interview, she says she and Sonja have developed a good relationship, and there’s something Sonja isn’t communicating. It’s not criticism; she’s concerned. She can’t help Sonja if she doesn’t know what Sonja needs. Sonja starts to cry, and Dorinda says that’s good; she’s letting it out. Ramona comes over, and Sonja asks if she embarrassed Ramona by what she’d said. Ramona ignores the question, and shows off her new purse, saying her girls got for her.

Sonja tells Ramona, the purse is ugly as sh*t; exchange it. In her interview, Ramona says, it’s not like she hasn’t thrown Sonja a party before; she’s thrown her two of them. We flash back to the surprise parties that Ramona threw for Sonja. Ramona says today is about her. She’s allowed to throw a party just for her, isn’t she? Leah asks, what’s going on? and Sonja tells Lucia that Ramona disinvited her last year, and she knew Lucia before Ramona. Ramona tells Dorinda that Sonja is starting an argument, and she doesn’t want to argue. It’s her birthday. Sonja yells, it’s actually her birthday. In Leah’s interview, she says she doesn’t often agree with Ramona, but let her have one night. Leave the drama at home for one night. Ramona tells the keyboardist to play a dance song. Whatever he plays, doesn’t sound like dance music to me, but everyone starts dancing. LuAnn takes a selfie with Dorinda and Ramona, and says, photo bomb, apparently not understanding what that means. In Leah’s interview, she says she’s all about girl power, but with all the palm trees and reds, it looks like the beginning of MILF porn. Leah starts giving LuAnn a lap dance, and pulls up her dress. Dorinda and Elyse grind along behind her. Tanya tells Ramona, it looks like they’re having sex, and LuAnn puts a giant flower on Leah’s head. Ramona tells them to stop, pulling Leah’s dress down, saying she’s dancing like a stripper. Leah says she was just joking around, and Dorinda says, it’s funny. Ramona tells Leah that she has a run in her stocking. I don’t know if that’s supposed to be code or a euphemism for something, since Leah isn’t wearing stockings. In Ramona’s interview, she says Leah is embarrassing her, and she’s embarrassed for her. She tells Leah, calm down; 100 women are there. I knew that number would end up changing. Leah says she was just having fun, and Ramona stomps off, looking for the producer. She wants this shut down. Leah yells that Ramona is being effing psychotic. In Dorinda’s interview, she says, Leah can’t do anything right. Ramona is just waiting to pounce on her for anything. Sonja jumps on a table, and dances on a mirrored tray, shattering it as she dances. Leah squeals, wooooo! Ramona barks at the producer, saying she’s quitting the show. She’s done.

Next time, Ramona says Sonja is becoming a liability, Leah says Ramona is a terrible person, Ramona says someone is bi-polar, LuAnn’s luggage vibrates at the airport, and the Cancun vacation begins.

June 6, 2019 – Harmony Visits a Cuffed Shiloh, a Challenge From Nina, Runway Observation, Abby’s New Dance, Old Tonys & Forever Friday

What I Watched Today

General Hospital

I only heard the first few minutes, so here’s a condensed version.

Carly dreams that Ryan took the baby.

Ryan is prepped for surgery.

Harmony shows up to harass Willow.

Shiloh wants Chase’s badge. Margaux comes in, and asks, what’s going on? and Shiloh says, a miscarriage of justice. Chase is arresting him. Margaux says, good work, and Shiloh is like, what?

Elizabeth, TJ, Stella, and Curtis are hanging out in Jordan’s room. TJ says, it’s going to be a long day. Stella thinks it’s getting crowded in there, but Jordan tells them not to go far. She wonders if she’s scaring them away. Elizabeth says she isn’t, but she needs to check on Jordan’s surgical team. Curtis asks if she’s nervous, and Jordan says, no. She’s focused on why the hell Ryan would donate his kidney to her.

Finn, Laura, and Doc sit in the waiting area, while Franco paces. He thinks Ryan’s surgery is taking too long, according to Google, and there’s still a significant chance the kidney will be rejected. Finn says he got all that from Google? Laura asks if it’s not best that Jordan be prepped now, and Doc agrees. Franco hates waiting, but Laura says Jordan is closer to getting a transplant then she was yesterday. Finn’s phone dings, and he says he’s gotten the news they were waiting for.

Carly says that Sonny was holding the baby, but when he turned around, he was Ryan, and the baby was just a bundle of blankets. Sonny tells her, take a moment and breathe. She’s under a lot of stress. Carly guesses everything is jumbled in her subconscious. Sonny says the good news is, Ryan’s been caught. The house phone rings, and Sonny says, it’s not a good time. He tells Carly, it’s Ava, and Carly says, let her up. Let’s get it over with. Sonny says, send her up, and tells Carly to go upstairs. She shouldn’t have to deal with this. Carly says she’s never run from Ava before, and she’s not doing it now.

Willow asks where Harmony was when she needed her? Harmony says she didn’t come to dredge up the past. She understands well the pain Willow’s been carrying. She remembers how it felt when Willow disappeared, leaving only the pregnancy test behind. Willow says it’s the best decision she ever made. Harmony says, it’s a lonely life, being away from your child. It doesn’t have to be like that. She can give Willow a family and refuge. Willow says, from Shiloh? and Harmony says, it doesn’t need to be like that. Shiloh is no threat to Willow and her child. Come with her, and she’ll prove it.

At Charlie’s, Alexis says she didn’t know Lucas and Julian were speaking. Julian says Lucas made an exception when the custody of his baby was up for grabs. She tells him that she can only say so much, and he says he might know more than she thinks. Willow is Wiley’s biological mother, and lied to Diane about not knowing the father. The father is a sexual predator, and could lay legal claim to Wiley. Alexis says if they could only reach a custody outcome that quickly. Julian thinks she might be able to, if she can handicap in Brad and Lucas’s favor.

Shiloh says Margaux ordered his arrest? She says Chase is acting on a warrant she requested, based on evidence. Shiloh says he was the one who was assaulted and almost killed when Jason threw him down the stairs. She says that’s news to her, since he declined to cooperate. She asks Chase if Shiloh knows the charges, and Chase says he was fully informed. She decides she’ll inform him again. She wants the case to be airtight, with no grounds for appeal. Shiloh is going away for twenty to life.

Alexis tells Julian, don’t think of interfering. If he really wants to help, stay out of it, or he might mess up the case.

Willow tells Harmony that her students will be coming in soon. The students we saw once on Career Day, and never appeared again. Harmony tells her that Shiloh was hurt, and is in the hospital. Willow says, Shiloh is a cockroach who will be back on his feet, and taking advantage of women no time. Harmony says if Willow shares the information with her, she can negotiate a truce. Willow says she keeps telling Harmony, there’s no child. Harmony says Shiloh is yearning to forgive Willow, but Willow says she doesn’t want or need his forgiveness. Harmony tells her, don’t say that. Shiloh is slow to anger, but a man can only be ignored and denied his rights for so long. Willow says, or what? and Harmony says she doesn’t want find out.

Shiloh says, attempted rape? He would never. Margaux tells him, save for a jury – if he’s stupid enough to get on the stand. He says he’ll give the jury an earful. Margaux tells Chase that he can leave, and when he’s gone, Shiloh says Margaux must have been pretending for Chase’s benefit. He’s sure she’s found a clever way to vindicate him. She’s sorry to disappoint him, but no. He asks what she means, and she says she wants to see him in prison, where he belongs.

Sonny is surprised Ava made bail for attempted murder. Ava says, it’s more like attempted justifiable homicide. Ryan is in custody. They’re welcome. Carly asks if she’s there looking for a compliment, but Ava says she’s there to see Avery. She was hoping to celebrate Kiki’s birthday. Carly says they already did, showing her a handmade card. Sonny says, on her actual birthday. He guesses Ava was busy. She says she’d like to see her daughter. Sonny says, Josslyn took Avery to the zoo, and Ava says, another wasted visit. Sonny suggests she call ahead.

Curtis tells Jordan, who cares why Ryan changed his mind? He did, and she needs the transplant. She wants to understand why the about-face. She doesn’t trust him. He’s too smart to think helping her will give him leniency. Curtis suggests maybe Ryan is getting a sick satisfaction, knowing she owes her life to him. Maybe he thought about meeting his maker, and that it was his last chance to avoid divine retribution. All that matters is that she’s getting the kidney. Finn tells them, Ryan is out of surgery, and his kidney is ready for transplant. Is she?

Sonny asks Ava if she actually meant for Ryan to find her. Is it true she lured him in? She says she did. He couldn’t wait to show himself. Carly says, so everything with Doc was all an act. Ava says they figured Ryan would be jealous, and follow her, and he did – armed with a knife. She played along, and then pulled her gun. She wanted to hear him beg before she took his life. Sonny asks why she didn’t, and she says Curtis showed up, and told her that Jordan’s life was hanging in the balance. The cops arrested Ryan, and on his way out, he said she could have never gone through with it. She grabbed the knife, and showed him, yes, she could.

Doc and Laura look in on Ryan. In Jordan’s room, Finn says, there were minor complications, but nothing to interfere with the transplant. There were no antibodies. TJ clarifies by saying that means there’s less chance of Jordan’s body rejecting the kidney. Curtis asks how long the surgery will be, and Finn says, two or three hours. Jordan says that’s fast, and he says the operation has been fine-tuned. They make an incision below her navel, put the kidney in, reattach everything, and that’s it. She’ll wake up with tubes in her, but they’ll be removed later. Stella thinks they should go, but Jordan says she needs a minute to speak to Stella alone.

Margaux says Shiloh seems surprised. Shiloh says she’s suffered a setback, and reverted to the sad, scared little girl who came to him in tatters over her mother’s betrayal. Why is she believing Jason over him? She says, evidence and eyewitness testimony; all of which are admissible. Shiloh says he’ll have no choice but to retaliate, and she says, with what? Blackmail? He says, no; the truth she pledged. She says, oh yeah, he means this, and takes her Pledge out of her bag. She says, nice try. He says, the physical copy doesn’t matter. He has it all up here. He taps his head, looking stupid. One day the truth will come out. Someone will dig around, and find out the truth, and her career will be over. She says she already beat him to the punch. She’s resigning as DA.

Alexis tells Julian that she guesses he feels helpless. Wanting to take action is understandable, but counter-productive. He needs to stay out of it. She’ll fight like hell to keep Wiley away from Shiloh, if it comes to that. He asks why it wouldn’t, and she says, it’s hard to get custody from prison. Julian tells her Kristina hasn’t mentioned DOD since she returned from clearing her head. Did she have some help with that?

Willow tells Harmony that she’s not afraid of Shiloh. He has no power over her. Harmony says Willow needs guidance. She’s made terrible decisions since leaving. She gave up her child, and it broke her spirit. Anyone who knew her before would see it. She seemed contented, now she’s lost and angry. Babies bring people together. Willow says Harmony isn’t listening, and Harmony says, the truth will come out, and the baby will be home where he belongs, with both parents. Willow says if Harmony thinks she’d let her or Shiloh anywhere near a baby… Harmony thinks if Willow miscarried, she wouldn’t be so defensive. It’s in her voice; her fervor and rage. Only a mother feels so passionately. She thanks Willow for confirming what she needed to know. Her grandson is alive.

TJ asks Curtis what he thinks Jordan and Stella are talking about. Curtis says, whatever it is, it’s not good, and it’s causing his blood pressure to rise. Jordan tells Stella that she requested a DNR. Stella doesn’t think it’s necessary, but Jordan says it’s a precaution in the event something goes wrong. She doesn’t want to continue in a vegetative state. Stella says, there’s almost no chance of that, but Jordan says Stella knows she believes in being prepared. She’ll need an advocate to make sure her wishes are followed. She doesn’t think Curtis or TJ will do it.

Finn asks Doc how the patient is. Doc says, asleep, but it’s odd. Laura says she’s going to check in with the DA. Doc is free to join her, but Doc says he’d like to stay there. He tells her that he’ll be fine, and to go ahead. Franco comes by, and asks how it’s going. Doc says, there were a few minor complications, but the operation was a success. Franco asks if that’s good or bad.

Ava tells Sonny and Carly that Ryan agreed to the transplant. Sonny says it won’t make a difference to his sentencing, but Ava thinks it will. He’ll be sent to a lesser facility, where he’ll escape, and the nightmare will start over. Carly says, it’s horrible, thinking the person responsible for your child’s death will go free. Ava says she’ll call and discuss picking up Avery tomorrow. Sonny tells her to keep the card. It might do her some good.

Shiloh says Margaux is bluffing. There’s no way she’d resign. Her career means everything to her. She says she’s already drafted a press release. It’s done. Maybe it’s time to learn something else. Her final act as DA will be to leave her successor a solid case. She wonders what they’ll find when they dig deeper. He’s only been Shiloh for so long. She’s sure his time as David Henry Archer warrants investigation too.

Willow tells Harmony that she’s delusional. There’s no baby. She miscarried. Harmony says her grandson is out there somewhere. It’s only a matter of time before Shiloh finds him. Willow says if Harmony has any love left for her, she won’t say anything else to Shiloh. Harmony says she’s going to, but it would be better if it came from Willow. Willow says she’s not going anywhere near Shiloh. Harmony says she’d better; she gave him a Pledge. Willow says, that’s right, but somebody gave it back to her, and the others were destroyed. Harmony says, that’s impossible, but Willow tells her to look for herself. Shiloh has no leverage over her, and when his crimes are exposed, he’s going down. Harmony says she’s lying, but Willow says, it’s happening right now. He’s going to prison. Harmony says she’ll see about that, and storms out.

Julian asks Alexis if Kristina chose to clear her head, or did her parents make that decision. She says it’s none of his business. He can’t believe how hypocritical she is. He can’t cross lines, but it’s acceptable for her. She says she doesn’t have to apologize or justify her actions. He says he’s not asking for that. He just wants her to have understanding. Lucas came to him, panicked, and not thinking clearly. Alexis tells him, stay out of it. He asks if Kristina knew she could come to Alexis for help, she never would have fallen down the DOD rabbit hole in the first place.

Finn tells Ryan that he can’t play possum forever, but gets no response.

Franco asks Doc, how about them woodchucks? Does he think they have a shot at the pennant? Doc says he doesn’t follow baseball, and Franco says him neither. He’s just making a distraction from hypotheticals. Like how easy it would be for Doc to sneak in and put a pillow over his brother’s face. Doc asks if he would care. Franco says, Ryan dead is one in the plus column, but in the minus column, a lot of people would feel the loss if Doc is spending time in Pentonville. Including one or two of his special favorite patients. And there’s the whole moral question. Ryan is helpless. He can’t fight, or even open his eyes. Could Doc live with himself? Could he justify killing, even if Ryan deserves to die. Doc appreciates Franco’s support, but says he doesn’t need to be there. Unless he wants to be. Franco says he sure as hell doesn’t, and walks away.

Stella says Jordan consulted with her doctor, and signed the DNR, which is her right and prerogative, but leave her out of it. Jordan says if it’s needed, she’s asking Stella to speak on her behalf. Stella is the only person she trusts to make it all right. Stella says Curtis and TJ will be opposed to it. Jordan says, says the woman who stared down Ryan Chamberlain. They’ll fight with everything they have, and Jordan needs her to don that cape of hers, and pull off the heroics she’s famous for. What does she say? Stella takes her hand, and says Jordan can count on her.

Alexis goes to Sonny’s place. He asks if Kristina is okay. Alexis thinks probably the thought of Shiloh being arrested is encouraging, but she needs help with something else. She not asking Carly to intervene per se, but she’s asking if Carly will keep an eye on her brother.

Julian shows up at Willow’s classroom, where she teaches ghost children. She says he needs to leave right now. Julian says if she wants to keep Shiloh away from Wiley, she’ll hear him out. She closes the door, and says, make it quick. He says the only way to make sure Shiloh never finds out is through the adoption file. The file in Albany is no longer in play, but Willow’s lawyer has her own copy. If they could somehow eliminate the records, there will be nothing tying Willow to Wiley. Willow says, Diane would never destroy the records, and Julian says, she wouldn’t.

Chase tells Harmony that no one is allowed in the prisoner’s room. She says, this is absurd. He’s done nothing wrong. Chase says he’s officially in custody. Margaux comes out, and asks if Harmony needs help. Harmony says Chase won’t let her see Shiloh. Margaux asks if she was an accessory. He was using the Pledges to blackmail the members, drugging them, and sexually assaulting them. Harmony says she has no idea what Margaux is talking about, and Margaux says Harmony needs to work on her denials. She’ll most likely be subpoenaed, and might be charged. She should stay as far away from Shiloh as possible, but it’s her call. She’ll allow Harmony to see him. Harmony stomps into Shiloh’s room, and Margaux says, what she thought. With any luck, Harmony will follow Shiloh straight to prison.

Laura says she’d like a word with Margaux. Ryan is out of surgery. She’d like an overview of the prosecution’s case. Margaux says she needs to address something else first.

Harmony asks Shiloh how this happened. He says the detective made groundless accusations, and arrested him. Harmony says, Margaux is convinced they have a case. Shiloh says Margaux has completely lost her way. Jason almost killed him. He had to give over the Pledges. Harmony says he did what he had to, and he asks if she talked to Willow. She says, he was right. He has a child out there.

Carly says, Wiley’s biological parents are Willow and Shiloh? and Alexis says, it stays in this room. Shiloh doesn’t know, and she wants to keep it that way, or he’ll fight for custody.  Sonny says, he’ll make a bad situation worse, and Alexis says they need to keep Brad and Lucas calm and focused. If Lucas doesn’t push, Julian won’t do anything rash to keep Wiley from Shiloh.

Ava walks into Charlies. Julian is drinking down a shot, and she asks if he’s sampling his own wares. He asks what it looks like. She says, it looks like he could use a drinking buddy. He says, circumstances call for it, and she says, that’s always the way for the Jeromes. They drink.

Willow calls Diane, and leaves a message. She says her mom knows about the baby, and is going to tell Shiloh. She’s scared. She gets another call, and asks Diane to call back asap. It’s Chase, and she asks, what’s going on? He says, it’s done. Shiloh has been arrested. He put the cuffs on Shiloh himself, and there’s plenty of damning evidence. She says, finally, some good news. He tells her that she can rest easy tonight. The law is on her side.

Shiloh says he has a child, and Harmony says, he’s a father. He says, amazing. Boy or girl? She says Willow refused to say, but they’ll know everything soon. He says the police are going to lock him away from his child. She wishes she could help. He says she can.

Margaux tells Laura that she’s resigning, effective immediately. Her staff is up to date, and more than capable of handling things until a special election for a new DA can be held. She thought it would be welcome news to Laura. Laura says she knows they clashed, but she respects Margaux’s passion and dedication. Margaux says her passion was misplaced, and her office compromised. She’s in no position to carry on as an effective DA. Laura appreciates her stepping down. Margaux says it helps knowing the people of Port Charles have Laura looking after them. Don’t let them down.

Finn tells Doc that he’s getting a neurologist to consult. Ryan may have slipped into a coma. Laura returns and asks if Doc has spoken to his brother. Doc says, he’s still unconscious. God help him, he hopes it stays that way.

Jordan is wheeled out on a gurney. Curtis says they’ll be waiting for her. He loves her. He kisses her, and she says she’ll see them on the other side. He kisses her hand, and she’s wheeled in.

Tomorrow, Maxie tells Nina it’s her turn, Doc says his brother is hard to kill, Carly is sure Jax has an excellent explanation, and Franco has good news for Ava.

Project Runway

The designers have had five months and $10K to create a collection of ten pieces. Christian went around to their homes to check on them. No surprise, Hester’s house in Santa Fe is crazy cool, like a teenager’s bedroom, or my first apartment. When Christian traveled to Fort Lauderdale to see Sebastian, he said the city was like a gay island. A far cry from the one time I was there, and it was more like a retirement home. Baltimore’s Bishme said he was homeless when he applied to Project Runway. He was living in his studio. Um… I don’t think that’s exactly homeless. Sadly, he’d lost a family member, and found out his sister had colon cancer. He only had eight pieces ready, but hoped to catch up in the time left. Costume king Garo lives in Phoenicia, New York, and I have no idea where that is. He had a lot of sparkle and texture going on, and balanced out Bishme with having fourteen pieces ready.

The contestants met back at the ranch new studio, and I wondered why Hester hugs people by first walking toward them with arms outstretched, like Frankenstein. I’d find that kind of scary if she came at me like that. They visited Nina at the Elle magazine office, and she showed them the room everyone wants to see – where the fashion is housed. It was about a skabillion times bigger than the closet in The Devil Wears Prada. Nina told them their challenge was to show three looks – two from their collection, and an 11th look based on Nina’s suggestions, which would also be cohesive with the other two. From Bishme, she wanted sporty outerwear; Hester was to be devoid of print (against her design philosophy); Garo was given the task of a tailored suit that could go from daytime to nighttime; and she wanted more movement from Sebastian, who took his tailored craftsmanship to another level..

When Hester jammed a sewing machine needle through her finger, my first thought was, it figures she’d decided on white for her non-print garment. I’m sure that was her second thought after screaming in pain. I don’t think it’s what Christian meant when he suggested she do something in red. Sebastian raged against the machine, designing a gown with leggings under it, when he was supposed to be designing a gown. Christian steered him back to gown territory. Without Christian’s kibitzing, these designers might not have made it this far. He always seems to be right on the money. The guest judge was Steven Kolb, president and CEO of the CFDA, and the dude who met with them last week.

Before runway time, Bishme had a moment, which is what we used to call breaking down and crying, before we needed euphemisms for everything that’s not rainbows and unicorns. He didn’t even want to look at his latest look. Garo’s suit was so ill-fitting,  even I noticed.

Hester ended up creating a totally different outfit – in red – and did it in three hours. Nina said Hester was resistant, but was glad she pushed her, and Brandon said her faux fur material was unconventional. We found out that Sebastian was a ballet dancer, and suddenly the way he designs made total sense. Nina said Bishme’s new piece – some sort of patchwork hoodie dress – had no direction whatsoever. He’d started off wanting to make a moto jacket, so I wasn’t even sure how he got there. Brandon told him when life was giving you lemons, you had to go on autodrive. Besides the atrocious fit, Brandon thought Garo’s suit was too Melanie Griffith in Working Girl, and lacked freshness. Garo actually begged for mercy. Nina was shocked and crushed about Bishme, and it was agreed his dress was like a potato sack. I had to admit they were right, even though I confess to once having a bubble dress that was quite similar.

Hester and Sebastian were in first. Garo joined them, and Bishme was out. I immediately thought, it might seem like a horrible moment, but maybe his family needs him right now. You know, that thing we tell ourselves when it all goes wrong – everything happens for a reason. Sometimes, it does. Nina said it might not be the right time, but it would be his time. I believe that too. He had some wonderful designs. He was happy about making it this far, and letting everyone see his process; the good the bad and the ugly. I think the deciding factor was really that he only had eight designs. The judges seemed somewhat concerned about that. Bishme peaced out, the others congratulated each other, and there was a group hug.

Next time, the finale – a meeting with Diane von Furstenberg, some of the clothing gets damaged, and it’s time for the final runway.

👀 Extra observation. I saw a lot of online agreement that this was the best and freshest Project Runway season in a long while. I’ve mentioned before that I’d never gotten into this show. Mostly because there was another show that trumped it, but I’d given it a try a few times, and felt ho-hum about it, even though I love looking at clothes I will never be able to afford. This time, one of the things I enjoyed was the dynamic between the cast members. For the most part, Nadine and Tessa aside, it was a genuinely copacetic atmosphere. I don’t mind some kvetching, or even a little hair-pulling, but these Housewives have gotten me to the point where I’m like, enough already. I also think with the timeframe they have to create and produce, ain’t nobody got time for that. Which brings me to how, in pondering this, I finally got my tagline. I’m just too busy to be bitchy.

👯 It’s often in the darkest skies that we see the brightest star. So said Abby Lee Miller on Dance Moms. I checked out new season, and it was pretty much what I expected. Abby said the last year has been a living hell, but damn, she looks good. Her cancer is also in remission. The kids seemed more mature and sassier, although I hate hearing the standard, I’ve been working for/dreaming of this my entire life, coming from a twelve-year-old. It’s like, you do realize you’ll most likely live past twenty, right? It was fun to see Abby screaming at the kids, and calling them losers again. As soon as the new team was chosen, she told them, I made you, and I can break you just as easily. No, wait. That was Frank-N-Furter in Rocky Horror. She did say she was giving them an opportunity, and could take it away from them, which to a little kid, is probably just as menacing. For a moment, I thought the moms were more mature as well, but it didn’t take long until they were straight out of All About Eve. As in previous seasons, the dancing was mesmerizing and beautiful; amazing work from kids so young. Even though Abby can be a tyrant, she must be doing something right to produce such remarkable talent.
