What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital – Thursday

Sonny and Carly meet Kristina and Aaron in front of the new coffee shop. Sonny tells Kristina he’s happy with his business venture with Aaron. TJ and Molly come along so they can be the first customers. Aaron thanks Sonny again and Sonny tells him to thank Kristina. Kristina says if Aaron hadn’t had a sound business plan, Sonny wouldn’t have considered it.

Jordan calls Andre from the MetroCourt, telling him she’s free tonight and she misses him. Curtis approaches and says he wishes that smile was for him. She says she’s made her decision about him being a cop. Curtis says all the graduating cadets made him nostalgic, but he’s decided to work solo as a PI, and she’s off the hook. Just for curiosity’s sake he asks if she was going to help him out. Changing the subject, Jordan tells him about TJ overhearing that Shawn is his father and how because of it, Tj has cut her out of his life.

Valerie, who’s been assigned to the hospital, asks to speak to Nathan. She asks him if she can be an extra set of eyes in his investigation while she’s on break. He gives her some files to look at. Maxie asks him if he’s afraid to take Claudette to lunch. I hope not, since it looks like Maxie just texted Claudette on his behalf.

Griff introduces himself to Valerie who wants to share his office for a while. He recognizes her last name and she tells him she’s Bobbie’s niece.

Franco stops the elevator with Elizabeth in it and covers the camera. Why is he being an a-hole? I really like him. Stop this now. She tells him that she’s going to scream if he doesn’t start the elevator again. Franco tells her he wants to talk and asks what the blip is up with her, and why she’s suddenly standoffish.

Maxie tells Nathan she texted Claudette on his phone. Claudette responds, thanking him and adding a private joke. Nathan asks Maxie why this is so important. Maxie has a card in her hand and Nathan asks if that’s Claudette’s key card. She says she’d never do something as crazy as stealing that. Noo. Never.

Claudette requests a secluded table at the MetroCourt.

Curtis asks if Jordan blames TJ, but she says no, he’s just lashing out. Curtis says she’s been lying to TJ his whole life, but the only person she’s protecting is herself.

Aaron promises not to let Sonny down. Carly and Sonny place an order and I wonder where Molly and TJ went. At an outside table, TJ gets a text from Curtis telling him to make peace with his mother. Molly says she was livid with Alexis about staying with Julian, but when Alexis was almost killed, she didn’t think about that. She says she can’t stand to think about how she would have felt if she hadn’t made up with her mother.

Valerie and Griff discuss Franco. Valerie wonders if it was really a tumor that made him do crazy stuff.

Franco tells Elizabeth he felt close to her and thought they were friends, and that meant something to him. It meant that he’d changed. She says he can’t make her the reason he believes in himself. He says she told him she believed in him and wonders why she doesn’t anymore.

TJ goes to the MetroCourt. Jordan tells him she loves him and asks him to let her explain.

Kristina tells Molly about getting it on with Aaron. Molly asks what about Parker.

Carly tells Sonny people are already responding about the organ donor article in Crimson, where her contact details were given.

Maxie lets herself into Claudette’s room. She gets distracted by a cute outfit, but then sees the wedding picture. Curtis sneaks in the room behind her. It’s getting crowded in there.

Nathan meets with Claudette. She says she was surprised at his invitation after he ordered her to get out of town. He says he overreacted. She says probably not, considering what she did to him, when their marriage was the best thing that ever happened to her.

Griff tells Valerie that it is possible Franco’s tumor caused his behavioral problems. He says he likes to think people can change.

Elizabeth says she doesn’t have a problem with Franco. At least not before he locked her in the elevator. He says he heard her talking to Epiphany about not being on the same shifts. He asks why she doesn’t trust him and she says she can’t trust herself.

Jordan tells TJ that Curtis accused her of lying to make her own life more comfortable and maybe he was right, but it doesn’t discount her and Tommy’s love for him. She says Tommy was a good man and when he found out about her and Shawn, it literally ended up killing him. TJ says he understands about her not tell him when he was little, but why didn’t she tell him later?

Kristina says Parker is married and nothing was ever going to happen, and she has a good thing going with Aaron. She says he already heard her saying Parker’s name in her sleep, and she told him everything except that Parker is a woman. She says since she’d never been attracted to a woman before, maybe it was a fluke.

Carly says she appreciates Sonny’s help, but she wants to continue the investigation on her own.

Claudette goes down Memory Lane about when she and Nathan were together in NYC. They talk about Nina and all the years she was in a coma. Nathan thanks Claudette for visiting Nina with him, when Nina was so helpless and still. Nathan thinks all of Nina’s energy was bottled up and just has to get out now. Ha-ha! Maybe he’s right.

Maxie tells Curtis she’s calling security. She tells him that Claudette gave her the key. Curtis says oh, so he can tell Claudette that Maxie was going through her stuff. Maxie admits that she’s not supposed to be there, acting like she’s just being nosy about Nathan’s ex-fiance, and asks him why he’s there. He says the same thing – snooping – and that Nina hired him to check Claudette out.

Griff tells Valerie a person shouldn’t be defined by the worst thing they’ve done. (Well, of all people, she ought to know that.) He says Franco has changed and they need to go by his present actions. An officer comes in and tells them that Franco has a nurse trapped in an elevator and has covered the security camera. How’s that for timing?

Elizabeth says she’s made so many mistakes with men, she’s afraid of making another one. She says her feelings for Franco are growing. She’s not afraid of him, but afraid of how she feels about him. Oh ho!

Franco is about to reply – and I get thunderstorm warnings. Not even for my area. Thank you, overzealous tri-state weatherman. Franco asks Elizabeth to stop avoiding him. He’s smiling and she’s laughing and I have no idea what happened. She says she won’t change her shifts.

Sonny wants to check out anyone who contacts Carly, and she says she was just about to ask him to do that. He says he’s not going to let anyone break her heart.

Aaron tells Kristina that he cares about her and wants to do right by her. He says before everything happened with Alexis, she was about to tell him something about Parker. He wants that out of the way before they move on. She says she’s decided to leave Parker behind and they kiss.

Jordan tells TJ that she lied to Shawn too, but Shawn loves him. She says Shawn loved him even even before he knew TJ was his son, which she told him before he went to prison. She says Shawn kept quiet because he didn’t want TJ to live with his father being a criminal. She tells TJ that Shawn is a good man and she should have done better by all of them. She asks if TJ can forgive her.

Maxie finds sexy underwear and birth control. She makes a bunch of noises and Curtis points out that Claudette is a single young woman. Curtis wonders why Nina wanted to fire Claudette and Maxie fought for her to stay. He asks if it’s keeping her enemies closer and she says something like that. He asks if she thinks Claudette is going to steal Nathan.

Claudette gets a new key brought to the table, as she thinks she lost hers. She wants to show Nathan something (I’ll bet), but he brings up the first time he told her he loved her. She says she was a selfish brat and because he was wrapped up in other things like his job and Nina, she found attention from other men. She says she’ll never forgive herself for that. Nathan says he’ll never forgive himself for shooting her lover and asks if she can help find him.

Carly reads Sonny a letter from someone who sold a kidney around the same time as Jocelyn’s surgery and has the same blood type. Sonny says he’ll check it out. He leaves and Carly sets up a meeting. Sonny talks to Aaron about the business and tells Aaron to come to him with any problems.

Molly tells Kristina that PCU is hosting an event where the keynote speaker is Parker.

Jordan keeps apologizing and TJ tells her it’s okay. He says he knows she never meant to hurt him. They hug and she tells him she loves him. TJ says Curtis was right to tell him he should talk to her. Jordan seems surprised that Curtis intervened.

Maxie tells Curtis that she and Nathan love each other. He asks why she’s invading Claudette’s privacy then. Maxie says Claudette is a snake who might as well wear a sign saying “agenda.” She thinks Claudette could cause trouble for Nathan.

Nathan asks Claudette for her lover’s name.

The cops grab Franco coming out of the elevator. Elizabeth says the elevator got stuck and Franco didn’t trap her, he calmed her down. She tells the cops to let him go. They smile at each other. What the what?

Tomorrow, Curtis asks what Claudette has on Nathan, Doc shows up in Greece, Nathan wants the name of Claudette’s lover.

General Hospital – Friday

Waiting here for the show to start, since the president has chosen this time of day to pretend he cares. Like I care about whatever phony nonsense he wants to say.

In progress. Nicholas says Ava has been the saving grace in an impossible situation. He says Sam and Jason have proof he’s alive, so why don’t they just go home and leave him alone?

Darby is having coffee with Dillon and basically insults Kiki and Morgan. Kiki and Morgan are also having coffee. Morgan tells Kiki his dad has set him up with a job, and he has to leave for a meeting. Darby complains about her coffee, and Dillon goes to get something else for her. Kiki, who’s at the counter for a refill, asks him if he’s really on a date with such trash.

Claudette still insists she ended up in Port Charles by accident. Nathan presses her for the name of the guy he shot. She tells him it’s over and to forget about it. She thought that maybe they could be civil and move on, but says apparently she was mistaken.

Curtis tells Maxie that if she keeps messing around, Claudette is going to catch her. Before he leaves, he tells Maxie to wait 20 seconds, and take the stairs. She flips the wedding photo face down.

Nicholas says his life is hanging in the balance. Sam says, so is Jason’s because he’s wanted for murder when Nicholas is alive. Ava slips and says something about the diamonds.

Doc joins Laura, Lulu and Dante at the hotel. The storm is still raging, but Lulu and Dante go to check on the ferry. Doc gives Laura something from Lloyd and Lucy Jones, that came after she left. It’s a picture of the Ice Princess. He says the only other thing in the envelope was sand. Laura thinks something is going on that’s separate from Nicholas.

Dillon tells Kiki that calling Darby “a slutty train wreck” might be a little unfair. I’m not so sure. Kiki comes up with a few other choice adjectives and asks if he knows she dated Morgan. He says yes, but Kiki says she bets he didn’t get the details of how she deliberately exacerbated Morgan’s problems. She tells Dillon he can do better and he asks why she cares. He reminds her that she wanted to take a break from him. He and Darby leave.

Maxie picks up the photo and spends too much time staring at it and talking to it. Finally, she leaves the hotel room.

Nathan asks Claudette to sit down again for a second. He doesn’t want the lunch to end on an angry note. He says seeing her again brought back angry feelings and maybe her need for closure is a good thing. He wonders if it will be difficult for her to hear about the wedding and she laughs. She says she hasn’t exactly been celibate since their parting. Maxie shows up and Nathan lays a huge kiss on her.

Laura tells Doc about the Ice Princess and how it lead her and Luke to the Cassadines and culminated in Helena’s curse. She thinks it’s a dare to go back to the island. Doc thinks it’s suspicious that she was already on her way. Laura says it has nothing to do with Nicholas. She thinks Nicholas is being blackmailed by Hayden, which happened after Helena’s death. She thinks it’s a coincidence that Helena is trying to lure her to the same place that Nicholas is hiding. Doc is afraid it’s a trap. He asks her if she’s sure she wants to go. Lulu pops in and asks what’s going on.

The storm has cleared and Theo jets out of the door pretty quickly. Jason mentions the diamonds, and Nicholas asks why he cares. He says if Jason wants to take something from him, it’s going to be over his dead body.

Curtis approaches Griff. He says he doesn’t know Griff well, but Valerie speaks highly of him. Griff says he’s been cleared of being a murder suspect. Curtis says he doesn’t fit the profile anyway, which isn’t a doctor doubling as a priest. He says he’s never met a priest with another job and says a priest he once knew says you’re always a priest until you die.

Maxie asks if Nathan and Claudette cleared the air. Claudette says it was dicey at first, but things are cool now, and she’s excited to be working with Maxie. She says she thought Maxie had a meeting. Maxie says it was canceled, so she wondered if she could steal Nathan back. Claudette leaves. Maxie tells Nathan that Claudette is everything he warned her about – and worse.

Ava tells Jason he should let the authorities handle the rest. Jason says Nicholas needs to cut his losses and come back with them. Theo pops back in, saying a boat has landed. Jason says he’ll even fund Nicholas’s defense. Ava tells Nicholas she thinks Jason is right. He’s not a criminal, just a man who made bad choices. She says he can either continue to do that or turn it around for his son’s sake. Sam agrees, even though it’s hard for her to admit agreeing with Ava.

Surprise! Laura and company are at the door. Lulu runs to Nicholas and hugs him. He might as well go back now, since half of Port Charles knows where he is.

Back in her room, Claudette tells herself Maxie is going to be a problem and has to go. At the MetroCourt, Maxie tells Nathan that Claudette has to go. She tells him about Curtis sneaking into the room after her. Nathan is concerned that if Curtis finds out about the shooting, he could tell Jordan and Nathan could lose his badge.

Griff says at the end of the day, priests are human beings. Curtis asks if he’s just on a break, but Griff says he doesn’t know. Curtis says he can’t imagine living life without the ladies and Griff wonders why everyone always thinks that’s the only reason to leave the priesthood. Curtis asks him why he left then.

Morgan tells Kiki he’s going to start his job there soon and to get ready for free coffee. She says she gets that from the MetroCourt, but I say there is never enough free coffee. He asks what was up with her and Darby. She says when she realized Dillon was on a date with Darby, she told Dillon what she thought and he didn’t appreciate it.

Dillon brings Darby to her apartment. Darby blows Dillon off. He says he thought she was changing and they were going swimming, but she says she saw him get sucked into Kiki’s drama and she’s been there, done that.

Lulu says she wants to shake Nicholas and scream at him, but right now she just needs to hug him. Jason asks Dante how he figured it out and Dante tells him about Spencer’s phone. He says the charges against Jason have been dropped and he’ll take it from here. Laura tells Nicholas how unfair he’s been, especially to his own son. Nicholas says he couldn’t figure out another solution to his problems. Laura hugs him. He says he wouldn’t blame her if she didn’t speak to him again, but she says they’ll sort it out later. She’s just glad he’s alive.

Griff tells Curtis he has to get back to work. Curtis says he hopes everything works out.

Maxie tells Nathan she convinced Curtis that she was just being a jealous fiance. She says Nina hired him to help, but they can convince her to let it go. She tells him about the photo, and says as soon as she saw it, she knew Claudette wanted him back.

Claudette is seriously anal and realizes the picture was moved. She knows someone has been in the room and suspects Maxie.

Kiki says the day she walked in on Darby and Morgan was the worst. Morgan says Darby means nothing and to look toward the future. He says it’s all good.

Darby says until Dillon can prove he’s over Kiki, they’re done. He kisses her and she asks him to come inside. That didn’t take much.

Dante says they have to get going. He has to inform the PCPD about Nicholas. Theo comes back. He has a gun and says the party is just getting started. He tells them that the first one to break the rules is going to die. It might be good if he tells us what the rules are.

On Monday, Hayden asks her mother for help (score one for my guess), Dante wants to know who Theo is, and Theo holds Sam hostage.

Quotes of the Week

Men make mistakes because we think with our *dool. — Mike from Shahs of Sunset (*Persian word for penis)

It’s like Frozen for adults. — Jill referring to Hamilton on Odd Mom Out

And in honor of Legally Blonde’s fifteen anniversary:

Whoever said orange was the new pink was seriously disturbed. — Elle Woods (I wonder if this goes for orange being the new black too.)

Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people just don’t shoot their husbands, they just don’t. — Elle Woods

You must always have faith in people. And, most importantly, you must always have faith in yourself. — Elle Woods (Because it’s Elle, I’ll let it pass that “importantly” is not a real word. Please, just use “important.”)

🎭
While I don’t write about all the shows I watch, there are a few I’d be remiss in not recommending. MasterChef, Motel Hell (which is also an unrelated, but equally fun, old horror film starring Rory Calhoun), Devious Maids, UnReal, and Zoo have been filling up my On Demand calendar.

I’m also enjoying Wandering Pines‘ second season. It’s very different from the first, as we’ve fast forwarded to where the first generation is in charge. Many critics thought this was a bad idea and some weren’t that crazy about the first season to begin with. One of my friends said that once the “abby” secret was out, she lost interest. I thought I might not like it as much this time, but I actually think I like this perspective better. It also evokes the sci/fi show V – more the original 1980s version than the millennial remake.

With the new Absolutely Fabulous movie coming out, I’ve also been catching reruns of the series on the Logo network. I’ve probably seen all of the episodes more than once, but they never get old. I literally lol several times every time. Those two are like Lucy and Ethel on crack.

If there’s a show you’d like me to write about, just let me know and I’ll see what I can come up with. Maybe you’ll introduce me to a new favorite or get me excited about an old one.

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Alexis takes off her wedding ring set. There’s a knock at the door. It’s Sonny. Alexis thanks him again and he says he’s just glad she’s okay, but she wonders if she is.

Hayden tells Tracy she has a problem with being a drug mule. Oh come on, Hayden, it will be fun. Finn is looking everywhere for something and tearing the room apart, like it’s a scene out of Lost Weekend. He finds nothing but an empty vial. He tells Roxie not to judge him. He tells her that he knows he hid a couple of doses somewhere; he just has to find them.

Franco approaches Elizabeth at the hospital. He applied to an art camp for Jake and she wants to know why. Franco says it’s a great opportunity for him. Elizabeth says it’s two grand that she doesn’t have. Franco tells her to read the whole email and points out that there’s financial assistance. Elizabeth says her other two boys want to go to camps, but she’s not likely to get scholarships for all three. Franco suggests an online campaign, but Elizabeth nixes that idea. She says it would have been better if he’d checked with her first.

Claudette talks to Nina about the job. Nina thinks she’s going to be a perfect fit. Maxie comes in and Nina toasts with her coffee, asking what the “C” in CJ is for. Maxie says “Claudette,” and Nina chokes on her latte. Nina asks her to explain. Claudette says CJ is her professional name. Nina tells her she’s fired.

Nathan tells Griff he’s been officially cleared in the hospital murders.

Alexis tells Sonny to go ahead and tell her “I told you so.” She says at one point, Julian did leave the mob and it was a great ten minutes. Sonny says he knew what Julian is capable of and Alexis says she thought she did. Sonny says he’s her friend and wants her to know it. Where did this gregarious Sonny come from?

Hayden says she wants to help Finn, but not at the expense of her own freedom. Tracy says she’ll do it herself, but Hayden has to tell Finn.

Alexis says she’s made some bad life choices, although at least she got children she loves dearly out of them. She says no wonder she’s confused. Sonny says it’s over and Julian is on his way to prison. Alexis says she should have turned Julian in earlier and Sonny says hindsight is 20/20, but he has no doubt she’ll rise up again.

Tracy and Hayden go to Finn’s room. He asks them to come back later, but Tracy says it will only take a minute. She sees the condition of the room and asks if he lost a contact lens. He explains that he was looking for doses he’d hidden. Hayden says the Feds are looking at her, so she doesn’t want to be a mule. Tracy says to just tell her where to go and who to talk to, and she’ll take care of the rest. Finn thanks her, but says Hayden is right. He doesn’t want either one of them getting his drugs.

Maxie asks for a moment with Nina. Maxie tells Nina that Claudette can sue if she’s fired for personal reasons, although I’m not sure about that. Nina asks why Maxie wants her there, and Maxie says because she doesn’t trust her and wants to keep an eye on her.

Epiphany is going out of her mind at the desk. There’s a sick-out because of the serial killer being on the loose. Nathan tells her it’s high priority and they’ll bring the killer to justice in no time.

Franco tells Elizabeth he’s just learning to be considerate and thought he was doing a good thing. She thanks him for being supportive, but thinks boundaries should be set. She says if he has any ideas about Jake again, to talk to her first.

Sonny tells Alexis to give herself a break and blame Julian. He says she got enough evidence to send him to prison. Sonny asks her how she faked the pregnancy test. She tells him she learned a lot of things in law school and Anna knows some good tricks too. Don’t tell us or anything.

Tracy tells Finn she’ll bring the mountain to Mohammed. He tells her to remember the last time she left US soil and almost lost her life, and that her body is still recovering. Tracy says she’ll be the judge of what she can handle. Finn says as her primary physician, he doesn’t think she should be taxing her body right now. Tracy says his only solution is Hayden. Finn says he doesn’t want her to risk it.

Nina tells Claudette that maybe she overreacted in being protective of Nathan, and the job is hers. She adds that Claudette should thank Maxie and makes something up about what Maxie said. Curtis has shown up and Nina takes him into her office. Maxie offers to show Claudette around.

Nina gives Curtis his first assignment on bad plastic surgery. She talks about surgeons leaving people maimed and broke. She says his mission is to investigate the frauds. She’s made an appointment for him. He says he’ll investigate Claudette at the same time.

Elizabeth asks Epiphany not to schedule her and Franco together. She says whatever Franco thinks they are, he’s mistaken and he’s been overstepping his bounds. Epiphany says she’ll do it. Franco lurks by the water fountain.

Sonny tells Alexis she was brave. She thanks him and says she never wants to do anything like that again. Sonny says when she shoved the knife in Julian’s back, he wasn’t sure if she was protecting him or it was because Julian had it coming.

Tracy thinks she can convince someone to take the trip on her behalf. Finn finds a dose he’d hidden and asks if she doesn’t think enough people know about this already. Hayden hustles Tracy out, and Finn gives himself a shot.

Curtis says he’ll get some dirt on Claudette to give Nina leverage. Nina gives Curtis the information she has on Claudette and tells him what Claudette said about why she applied for the job under a different name.

Maxie sees Claudette’s purse and almost picks it up, but Claudette comes back with coffee. Claudette thanks Maxie, who says she did what’s best for the magazine. Claudette tells her she’s just there for the job. She’s moved past her relationship with Nathan and wants what’s best for him. Maxie asks what that is. Claudette says obviously it’s Maxie, but they don’t have to socialize outside of the office if Maxie doesn’t want to.

Epiphany asks what Franco wants. He asks what’s the point in being a better person when it doesn’ t get you anywhere? I know the feeling. He says he’s through with being nice.

Sonny says maybe it’s best Julian didn’t die so Alexis isn’t shouldering the blame. She says she’s glad that he’ll spend the rest of his life behind bars paying for his crimes. Sonny says he used and abused Alexis, but in the end, she took him down.

Tracy and Hayden confer. Hayden thinks Finn has a point. Tracy says if she’d gone alone, she would have at least found out what drug it is. Hayden pulls a paper out of her purse that she swiped from Finn’s room. It has the name of the drug on it.

Nathan asks Griff who was on duty when Lucas was treated, but Griff doesn’t remember. Maxie runs in, telling Nathan they need to talk. Griff leaves and Maxie says she needs a favor.

Alexis tells Sonny she’s going to meet with Diane later. He asks if she’s all right and she says she will be eventually. He says he’s there if she needs him. Outside, he makes a phone call, asking if it’s all set. Alexis checks her phone. She sees dates marked on the calendar. Hmm…is she really pregnant?

Nina tells Curtis to get something on Claudette quickly, and he says he’s already on it.

Maxie wants Nathan to take Claudette to lunch.

Griff tells Finn it’s great to have him back, and that he looks better. Finn says he doesn’t need Griff monitoring him and that it’s none of his business. Geez.

Hayden tells Tracy they can get the drug without leaving the country. She says she knows someone who can help, but it’s the last person on earth she wanted to ask for a favor. (Her mother?)

Franco gets in the elevator with Elizabeth. She asks how his day is going and he stops the elevator.

Tomorrow, Sonny asks Carly for a promise, Maxie asks Nathan if he’s afraid, and Jordan asks if Andre made a decision.

The Real Housewives of NYC

We return to The Countess stomping off from Dorinda’s dinner party. Jules and Dorinda try to get her to come back. The Countess says she came for a drink like she promised and everyone came down on her. Dorinda tells her to call in the morning. In her interview, Dorinda says that The Countess sometimes has a misconception of how she’s viewed.

Dorinda tells the other girls that The Countess has separated herself from the group. Bethenny talks about when The Countess used her Countessness to separate herself early on, and then calls out Ramona for being on her phone. Ramona is texting The Countess an apology. Sonja brings up the Tom thing and how it wasn’t like she was interested in anything serious with him. Everyone talks at once and Jules says they should let The Countess be happy. Bethenny talks about how self-absorbed The Countess is.

Jules tells Bethenny that she’s sometimes the same way, and when she tried to show Bethenny concern, Bethenny ignored her. Jules tells Bethenny she’s sick and tired of Bethenny treating her like she’s stupid. Bethenny talks about Jules baking the measuring cup into the calzone (really, that happened) and Jules says it was a joke. Jules says Bethenny puts people down and thinks it’s funny. We flash back to Bethenny being sarcastic with her. Jules says she’s been genuine and she trusted Bethenny. She says Bethenny has been talking smack about her marriage behind her back.

Bethenny says she never did that and has always said positive things about Michael. Bethenny wants to know who said that. For some reason, Bethenny thinks Jules is indicating it’s Dorinda. Dorinda talks about something that Jules had told her about Michael and we flash back. Dorinda says she did tell Jules to be careful who she talks to about her marriage and her eating disorder. Jules thinks they’re missing the point – that she doesn’t want them talking behind her back. She says they should address her personally.

Bethenny says she’s been distant because she grew up around an eating disorder. Jules tries to talk and Bethenny says let her speak. She says part of the disease is about lying and she’s allowed to protect herself. She says she hasn’t said anything bad about Jules either. In her interview, Bethenny says it was like a bank robber moving in with an FBI agent when Jules joined the group. Jules says she wrestles with her disease all the time, but she’s trying to be accountable, telling them she threw up recently. Sonja says she feels Jules has always been honest. Dorinda thinks Behenny and Carole have been insensitive. Carole says she knows denial when she sees it.

Dorinda says she’s not doing any more events since they all end up being a sh*tshow. Ramona wakes up from her phone trance and decides she wants to take a girls trip to Mohegan Sun. All of the arrangements have been made and they’re leaving on Tuesday, minus The Countess who has a previous engagement. Everyone just rides along on the Ramonacoaster and I’m dumbfounded.

The Countess is walking with Ramona in the city, and tells her that she’s disappointed about the other night. Ramona says she’s disappointed too, because The Countess didn’t feel Ramona had her back. The Countess says that Dorinda told her that Ramona isn’t her friend. In her interview, Ramona says that just because she says something less than positive doesn’t mean she’s not a friend. She points out to The Countess that it takes a year to get over a major upheaval and no one should rush marriage. The Countess says she’s old enough to know better. She tells Ramona not to judge her and it’s none of her business.

She says she doesn’t care about Sonja or anyone else who came before her. In her interview, Ramona wonders why she’s so upset about it then. Ramona tells The Countess that she broke girl code when she scooped Tom out from under another girl who’d been dating him for several months. It sounds like the girl went to the bathroom while they were on a date, and The Countess walked out with him.

The Countess says the only bright side of the evening was Carole. Ramona says Carole suggested they talk. The Countess says she’s going off to Vail with Tom, because she’s the type who dumps her girlfriends the second a guy is in the picture.

Dorinda visits Carole, who says they both seemed to be part of the tirade Jules was having about something that didn’t happen. Adam is there cooking cauliflower pizza. Bethenny arrives. They discuss Bethenny’s medical issues. She’s been getting some kind of IVs to combat the stress. She brings up the dinner party. Carole wonders why Jules singled out Bethenny. Carole isn’t sure what Jules was trying to accomplish besides alienating them.

Bethenny swears she’s been treating Jules like glass and thinks Jules is paranoid because she told Bethenny some secrets, even though Bethenny swears she’d never repeat them. Bethenny says she isn’t mad about it, but she doesn’t want some kind of talk with Jules to make things right. I’m fascinated with Adam’s pizza crust.

Sonja is mapping out her dinner party. Only Dorinda, Jules and their significant others are invited. Jules is also bringing a date for Sonja.

She’s borrowed her brother-in-law’s butler for the evening, and has an intern greeting the guests. I’d forgotten about John until he and Dorinda show up. Michael and Jules bicker outside the door. Eww! Michael’s hair is always slicked back and greasy looking. Mystery guest, Rocco, arrives and Sonja already knows him through mutual acquaintances. In her interview, Dorinda says it’s like a dance of the peacocks. Sonja is happy with the promised Rocco.

The table looks beautiful. John points out how huge the napkins are and Sonja explains that they’re 100 years old and back then, you used the napkin for a week. Huh. Rocco is impressed with the old world vibe. Jules is pleased with her own match making talents.

Dorinda is proud of Jules speaking her mind at the previous dinner party. Jules tells the others about how Bethenny and Carole hit a soft spot. Sonja says that Bethenny’s honesty was great, but she can’t be a real friend with the issues she has. Jules says she and Carole broke her trust and she’s not going to tell them anything personal anymore. Dorinda compliments Sonja on the dinner party.

Ramona has the party bus stocked. If all buses were like this, I’d take them all the time. Sonja just had oral surgery and seems a little loopy. Ramona is glad that they’re off to a good start and we flash back to the Atlantic City debacle from last season. She says they can feel the tension between Bethenny and Jules though.

The Countess is officially engaged. They discuss The Countess and happiness for a while. Sonja is a little disappointed that she’ll be losing a roommate. Bethenny talks to Dorinda about the Jules thing. Jules wonders if they think she’s deaf or want her to hear. Dorinda realizes the volume and removes herself to get a drink.

Jules tells Dorinda she can’t believe the obsession with her. In her interview, Dorinda says it’s nothing new for the bus to split into groups. Bethenny decides to talk to Sonja and tells her that she was hurt when Sonja came to her office to talk about Tipsy Girl. She says she didn’t handle it well. Sonja says she realized she had to step back and gather her thoughts about what she’d done and give Bethenny space. Bethenny says Sonja has a good heart and she wants to let it go.

Next time, Mohegan Sun, lots of drinking, lots of gambling, and The Countess shows off her ring.

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

GH has already been in progress for a half hour while the president said blah-blah-blah during the first half.

At the hospital, Anna rags on captive audience Julian about how he’s such a d-bag. I love that they’re just leaving her alone in his room.

Theo is surprised that Nicholas is alive. Jason suggests he talk to him personally.

At the MetroCourt, Laura talks to Dante and Lulu about Nicholas. Dante says he has to call it in immediately, but Laura isn’t certain where Nicholas is.

Ava tells Nicholas it’s clear that he did something bad, and now he’s trying to cover it up. She says in the moment, it seems necessary, but no matter how careful you try to cover your tracks, you miss something, and one mistake snowballs until it tries to take over your life. She says you dream of the moment before it happened and think you can change it, but when you wake up, that’s impossible.

Jason brings Theo to Nicholas. Theo says he’s glad to see him alive and safe.

Hayden tells Tracy what she knows about Finn’s condition. Tracy agrees to help.

Finn starts to write in his journal, but he’s too agitated. He tries making a call, but no one picks up.

Anna tells Julian about everything that’s wrong with him, and to add insult to injury, keeps comparing him to Sonny, who she defines as a good guy. She says Alexis and Julian’s children despise him now. Barely conscious Julian says it could have been Anna going to prison for murder and she’s no better than he is. She says she owned up to what she did and was exonerated. She says she learns from her mistakes, but he never has, which is why he’s there. She says she’s done with him and she’s leaving town to spend the rest of the summer with her family because she’s free and never threw her life away. She tells him how much she hates him and says everything we’ve wanted to say all along. She breaks down in tears outside the door.

Griff sees Anna slide to the floor and takes her hand. Man, Griff and Nathan have it all. How did Claudette get so lucky?

Sam gives Ava and Nicholas their shoes back. Jason has decided he wants them downstairs where he can keep an eye on them. Theo tells Nicholas his wife is very beautiful, but he says Ava isn’t his wife. He asks if Theo ever met Helena, but Theo says no; his father would bring the fish to the kitchen back in the day.

Laura suggests they all go to Cassadine Island. Dante says his first thought about Greece is no, but he knows if he says that, they’ll just do what they want anyway, and they should do this as a family.

Finn tells Roxie he’s running out of time. There’s a knock at the door. It’s Hayden and Tracy, who says they got there just in time.

Griff tells Anna she deserves a break, but he’ll miss knowing she’s there. He sits next to her on the floor and asks how it went with Julian. Anna expresses her disgust at how unfair it is that Julian is still breathing and Duke is gone. She says she’s been holding onto vengeance and calling it justice. She says the longer you carry it, the heavier it gets, but she feels like she finally let the weight go. Griff says she liberated her spirit, but Anna says she wouldn’t go that far. She says Julian has lost everything he cares about and only has himself to blame.

Amy asks Julian if he needs anything, adding that she has pepper spray and she’s not afraid to use it. It’s highly doubtful though, that Julian is going to be attacking anybody.

Griff says he’s wavered a little in his life. He says there are things in his history he’s not proud of, but Anna says regret is part of the human condition. Griff wonders what Duke would think of him. Anna says he’d love and accept Griff with open arms and heart. She talks about how Duke would want to build a relationship with him and Finola Hughes is so believable, I almost start crying. She tells Griff she’ll see him when she gets back and not to take off and reinvent himself again. They hug.

Hayden tells Finn she had to call in the cavalry, meaning Tracy. Tracy says she considers Finn a friend, but friends ask for help when they need it. She asks Finn what drug he needs. He says it’s illegal in this country and explains they need a drug mule. Tracy volunteers herself and Hayden.

Dante tells Lulu he’s not doing this for Nicholas, but for her. Laura calls Doc and tells him she’ll be out of town to find Nicholas, but doesn’t want to give him too many details. She says his friendship has meant everything.

Jason tells Sam he wants to keep an eye on these people. She says Nicholas isn’t going anywhere, but Jason says that’s not who he’s worried about. We see Theo’s tattoo again as he looks over the family history book.

Tomorrow, Elizabeth questions Franco, Hayden has a problem with being a mule, and Finn tells Griff to mind his own business.

The Haves and the Have Nots

Kathryn asks if it’s happening again and Hannah tells her it is. Kathryn cries about how unfair it is. She thinks she’s being punished for covering up Wyatt’s hit and run. Kathryn brings up something Hannah said to her ages ago and Hannah tells her to get some rest. Kathryn says it won’t help because Wyatt still won’t be there when she wakes up. Hannah tells her she does believe we reap what we sow. Kathryn asks if that’s why Wyatt died. Hannah says this is why she didn’t want to have this conversation right now, but we get back what we put out there. She doesn’t think God took Kathryn’s children away as punishment, but there’s a reaping coming. She says if you plant an apple tree, you can’t be surprised if apples grow on it. Yep.

Kathryn says there are apples all around and Hannah suggests they not do this now. Kathryn thanks her for coming. She wonders who’s going to tell Jim, and then asks Hannah to tell him. She says there’s no one else. Hannah says she’s not doing that and I’m also thinking Kathryn is asking too much. Hannah says Kathryn should do it, but she says she can’t even look at Jim. She begs Hannah to tell him. Kathryn says Hannah is a child of God and represents compassion and Jim sees that. Hannah is aghast that Kathryn would ask such a thing of her. Kathryn starts to beg. She says she doesn’t want him to hear it from the DA or another prisoner.

Warlock wakes Candace, telling her time’s up. She says she’ll get the money today. He says when the clock strikes five, she’d better have it in cash. She says she can’t get cash and he gets abusive.

The phones still aren’t ringing at Benny’s tow yard. Mitch asks how well Benny knows War. He thinks there’s something wrong with him. Benny calls David and leaves a message to call him back. Mitch wonders if Candace and War are hooking up, but Benny says War is like family. Benny says if the phones aren’t ringing in an hour, he’s paying David a visit. Mitch says he doesn’t want to go into business with War. Benny says War has had his back, and Candace’s, and he’d be in jail if it wasn’t for him. He tells Mitch that War would die for either one of them and to back off. It was like they were having two different conversations there for a while. Benny says if Mitch wants in on the business, that’s cool, but War is definitely in.

Warlock enters. Benny asks if he’s going in on the business. War says he wants to observe, and Benny says it’s a slow day. Mitch says he’s going out for coffee. Benny offers War a seat. War has a serious face and I’m not sure why he’s not making Benny nervous or at least curious.

Jeffrey visits Candace. She gives him his new phone. He tells her about Maggie, but she’d already heard about it. Candace goes upstairs and the phone rings. It’s Justin who wants to see Jeffrey. Jeffrey says he’s busy, but Justin insists.

As Candace is leaving, Mitch is coming up the walk. He wants to know what’s going on, but Candace says she can’t talk right now. He says just tell him and Candace says she owes War money. He offers to give it to her, but she says he doesn’t have that kind. Mitch mentions his brothers and Candace tells him not to get them involved and asks if Benny knows about them. Mitch asks if War is raping her for the money and she says no. She thanks him for caring and he says he always has. I like Mitch. I’m assuming his brothers are in the Mafia or something though.

When Candace leaves, Mitch calls someone. He asks if they still have a narc cop on payroll. He tells whoever to set War up.

Jeffrey gets to his mother’s house and sees someone cleaning the blood off the walkway. Veronica, who has a rockin’ new hair-do, hugs him and critcizes his wardrobe. She tells him she wants him to go home and change, but she wants him to see his room first. He says he’s not moving back in, but she doesn’t hear that and calls for champagne. I love Veronica. She is so on another planet. An evil, twisted planet.

Veronica shows Jeffrey the room. With a crib in it. She says that’s where he and Melissa are going to live. So, in that huge house, she can’t make a separate nursery? She asks if Jeffrey wants champagne and he asks if she remembers Maggie was murdered there yesterday. She says she heard someone was also murdered at Candace’s place. She asks if he’d like to talk about that or the wedding. Jeffrey chooses the wedding.

She tells him to wear a black suit when he comes back tonight. She says she invited his father and hopes he comes because it’s a festive occasion. She says, “Happy time, happy, happy,” like a full-blown nut.

Lloyd has Candace sign the papers. She wants to read them and he tries to rush her. She tells him she needs the money in cash. Lloyd is like, wh-a-a-at? and says that kind of money has to be ordered. Candace says she needs it in cash by five. He says he’ll call some of the branches and see what he can do.

Justin, in bed with Jeffrey, tells Jeffrey to uncuff him. Justin says Jeffrey is angry today, and does his usual he’s not gay riff. Jeffrey says he’s not going to see Justin again. He says he doesn’t like it. Justin says he can’t just start this and then stop it. He says Jeffrey has said a lot of things that make sense to him. Jeffrey says Justin is a sick man and to just get out. Justin says Jeffrey is temperamental, just like a chick, and Jeffrey says at least he wasn’t screaming like one. Justin grabs Jeffrey’s throat and Jeffrey says go ahead. Again, Justin asks what’s wrong and Jeffrey tells him to get out. Wow. Justin almost seemed human in that scene.

WTF? Does Candace have a camera at Benny’s office? She’s looking at her phone and sees War there with a gun. She calls War and puts Lloyd on the phone to tell him the money is coming in and they’re working as fast as they can. He asks for Candace again and asks her what she’s trying to pull. She pretends they’re going on a trip to Vegas together and he’s some kind of promoter. At the tow yard, War makes up something about the call.

Justin says he’d thought Jeffrey was a good guy. Jeffrey says sometimes people make you change. He thanks Justin for being one of them. Justin leaves.

Candace calls War and says the money is in. She asks him to meet her at the bank. He fingers his gun.

Ha-ha! Jeffrey shows up at Veronica’s in a purple flowered suit. She asks if he’s afraid of her and he says she knows he is. She says it must not be too much, since he showed up in something that looks like a dress. She says she should send him back home, but instead gives him the ring for Melissa. Veronica wonders where David is and says he hasn’t been taking her calls.

Melissa arrives. Veronica says she’s not showing yet, which is an understatement, making me wonder if she’s really pregnant. Veronica tells Jeffrey that when a lady enters the room, he’s to stand, and he asks where the lady is. Ouch! Veronica tells him to kiss Melissa and he pecks Melissa on the cheek. She tells Jeffrey to show Melissa their room while she checks on dinner.

Jim is brought to the visiting room. Hannah tells him she’s there for Kathryn. She says it’s about Wyatt. Jim thinks she’s there to curse him out or watch him fall apart. He says it’s not going to happen. He goes on about other theories and the lawsuit. He asks if she’s going to take it all and asks what she wants. Hannah says she’s there at Kathryn’s request and that Wyatt is dead. She says Kathryn couldn’t tell him herself and she didn’t want him to hear it from someone else. She tells Jim that Wyatt OD’d.

Nwzt time, Jim offers hannah money, veronica forces melissa on jeffrey, and Melissa offers to help Jeffrey take Veronica down.

Below Deck Mediterranean

Captain Mark tells Hannah that the guests are “perceiving” her displeasure with them. She tells the captain that she’s been professional, but the guests are vulgar, disgusting and rude. Now tell us how you really feel. The captain suggests having Tiffany and Julia pinch hit. He says it’s just a personality thing and not a level of service issue, so it’s all good.

Word gets out about the guests extending their charter. Hannah lets the other stews know they’ll need to fill in for her.

Bryan has Danny and Bobby clean something or other. In his interview, Bryan calls Danny a turd burger because he’s incredibly mature. The guests wonder what the crew must be doing while they’re hanging out needing drinking supplies. For one thing, cleaning up the guests’ disgusting messes. I’m not even going to tell you what Tiffany found. Greek snacks are demanded, and I’m not sure if Ben even knows what that means. Julia takes the guests’ drink orders. One of the primaries says she’s nice in a hateful way. In the galley, Julia says it would be nice if they’d say please and thank you.

Danny wants his phone back, but Bryan isn’t too receptive to that. Julia asks Danny if he actually works, as he leans up against the washer, watching Julia and Tiffany doing the laundry. Julia says every time she gets near the guests, they want something else and Hannah thinks they might run out of vodka. Ben is getting testy.

Hannah says the guests wouldn’t know five-star service if it smacked them in their Botoxed faces. From the looks of one of the bathrooms, they’re a bunch of slobs. It’s anchors away and Danny asks Captain Mark if he can have his phone back, promising to keep it in his cabin during work hours. The captain is okay with it, making Bryan livid.

Surprisingly, the guests go to bed when they get back from a night out on shore. One of them makes plans with the captain for the next day. Hannah and Ben talk. The captain tells Bryan that the guests want ATVs for the morning, which means they have to go back to where they came from because it’s the only place that has them.

Julia talks to her boyfriend and says she can’t wait to get off the boat. She tells us that people think yachting is glamorous, but it’s a sixteen hour day and she doesn’t know how much longer she can keep it up.

The captain tells Bryan and Bobby that the guests have requested designated drivers for tomorrow, and they plan the logistics. Julia asks Bryan if he can get croissants from the local bakery for one of the guests. Jen is getting tired of the Danny thing and says he’s like a sinking ship that you don’t want to get too close to. Julia orders breakfast burritos from Ben, but in the meantime, Bryan has come through with the miracle croissants, which only one guest wants now. Why not have both?

In his interview, Bryan says something about Jen and Danny being like farts in the wind, like he’s Confucius. Ben thanks Bryan for the croissants. Julia starts talking about how one of the guests wanted them and suddenly she and Ben are arguing. I think it’s really about something else though, because Julia starts to cry.

Hannah tells Julia to breathe and that everything is fine. Ben tells Jen he can’t figure out what the big deal is. Julia tells Hannah she’s tired of people taking advantage of her because she’s nice.

Breakfast is served. Julia says she doesn’t get Ben’s ups and downs. She thinks he acts condescending toward her because he comes from a different, more educated class than she does.

Captain Mark tells Hannah he needs one of the stews for the excursion. Tiffany tells Bobby about what happened with Julia and Ben. She seems to encourage his unwanted flirtation with Julia, which isn’t very sisterly. Bryan tells Danny he’s going to be one of the drivers, but his phone stays on the boat.

Bobby approaches Julia. She tells him thanks, but she’ s okay. No surprise, Danny enchants the guests. He, Bobby, Ryan, and Tiffany are the drivers. The ATVs go up a humongous hill and it looks like stunt driving to me. Danny is miffed because the other two guys take pictures with their cell phones.

Ben tells Julia she’s confusing him and wonders why she created an issue in the galley. She says she heard him talking to Bryan about the croissants and that he uses his intelligence to put people down. She says he’s the kind of upper crust person she tries to avoid in England. Ben says she’s overtired. Julia says he’s constantly overreacting and she’s tired of his arrogance.

Ben doesn’t feel right about how Julia is looking at him. He says he grew up privileged, but didn’t want to rest on his laurels because that’s not how his father taught him, and that’s why he left England. Tiffany thinks Ben is just being funny, not condescending.

On land, the group goes to a bar. Bryan frowns, seeing Danny look at one of the guests’ phones. The captain calls, trying to move things along. Danny only has one female ATV passenger and gets her number. Back at the boat, Bryan desperately wants to say Danny screwed up, but he didn’t, so it’s killing him.

The boat docks for the evening. Dinner is served. Danny shows Jen a calendar one of the Tilted Kilt girls sent him and Bryan rolls his eyes. There is constant cleaning behind the scenes.

After the guests go to bed, Ben talks to Hannah about Julia. He says he’s more sensitive than people think. Hannah says maybe Julia isn’t used to working with his kind of personality. He whines that it doesn’t mean he’s the worst human that ever lived and Hannah says no, that was Hitler.

I have the sudden desire for a croissant. Ben is having the feels about the issue between him and Julia. He tells Hannah it hit home. He says being privileged and educated has worked against him. He’s just an everyday person with an accent and everyone takes him for having a silver spoon in his mouth. Ben starts to cry and Hannah hugs him. Well. Ben says he left home young and did everything for himself. He can’t believe he’s crying and neither can I.

Next time, we visit Santorini, the crew has a night out, Danny gets caught with his phone, and Bobby and Julia argue.

July 11, 2016 – GH & the OC – Spencer Confesses & Vicki Apologizes

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Nina and Carly are at the MetroCourt. Carly tells Nina she’s trying to solve a mystery. Nina says she understands, since she’s in the middle of the Crimson cover dilemma. She says now that Julian’s been arrested, she has to change her idea. She asks Carly what her mystery is, and Carly says, her daughter.

Teddy is going to be okay. Tracy praises Finn to Michael and Sabrrrina, and goes off to see what she can do about getting his job back. Sabrrrina says the way Michael is acting, it’s like they’re family.

Finn is trying to get another source for his medication. There’s a knock at his door and he yells at them to go away. It’s Hayden, who lies to get him to open the door.

Laura asks Spencer who he’s been talking to. He pleads the fifth. She suggests calling back the number and he says he’d hate to subject her to telemarketers. Laura isn’t buying it, since he’s been returning the calls. She wants the truth, but Spencer says she can’t handle the truth.

Nicholas tells Ava to sit tight. He says as soon as the storm breaks, he’ll try his phone. Sam and Jason discuss what happened to Nicholas, who could have done it, and why. A figure lurks in the next room, watching them. Sam tells Jason that she knows she shouldn’t let Helena get to her, but the conditions are perfect for Helena’s brand of mischief. She suggests tying up Nicholas and Ava, when Ava calls for help.

Laura says she can handle the truth fine. Spencer says ignorance is bliss, or so he’s heard. Doc tells him he needs to answer Laura’s question and Spencer tells him to butt out. Laura hits redial.

Ava is concerned that Nicholas is going to pass out. Jason says there’s not much they can do until the storm is over. He and Sam leave Ava and Nicholas locked in the room. Nicholas’s phone rings. Jason hears it and comes back. He asks if he has to take Nicholas’s phone away again.

Hayden brings Finn a bunch of supplements. He says thanks, but no thanks; he needs his medication. He tells her he’s working on a new connection and she says she has one.

Jason answers the phone, but neither he nor Laura can hear one another. Laura tells Doc the call dropped. Spencer wants the phone back. Laura tells him she’s going to take it to Dante and Spencer says, “No not the fuzz,” and I laugh. He finally relents and says he’s been calling his father. He tells them Nicholas is alive.

Nicholas tells Jason he has no idea what he’s just done. Jason tells Nicholas and Ava to take their shoes off because it’s harder to run without them. The intruder, dressed in black, peruses the family history book and knocks a ceramic to the ground, breaking it. Jason and Sam leave Ava and Nicholas again. Sam tells Nicholas maybe they can get some rest, and sees the broken ceramic. She says someone else is in the house.

Hayden tells Finn her father moved in influential circles and she still has connections with pharmaceutical people. Finn tells her to stay out of his life. Hayden says she’s just trying to help. Finn says he can manage his condition without her help and she reminds him of what she did for him in jail. He says she’s making a cause out of him to make herself feel better about her father being a thief. She says she’s genuinely concerned, but he says he doesn’t want her risking it and tell her to stay away. He opens the door and Tracy is there.

Michael tells Sabrrrina they should take their time figuring out what they want. She says Teddy’s health and happiness come first. Michael asks what’s next, and she says she wants to be a nurse again.

Doc asks how Spencer knows this. Spencer explains that Nicholas told him before the fake accident. Nicholas said something would happen and everyone would think he’s dead, but he’d really just be on the lam for a while. Laura says it makes sense considering Nicholas’s poor judgement lately. Spencer says Nicholas had to save himself. Doc asks from what and Laura says, no, from whom.

Ava gets comfortable in Helena’s bed until Nicholas tells her that Helena died there. She finds a journal of Helena’s. Nicholas says it must be a forgery, since Helena never kept a journal. She reads aloud about Helena feeling the dead members of her family around her. She says she knows she’s been poisoned and can’t do anything, but she’ll make sure they pay, including her beloved grandson Nicholas.

The intruder is grabbed by Jason from behind. It doesn’t look like Helena, unless she’s been taking hormones and grew a mustache.

Tracy asks if she’s intruding. Hayden says of course she is, but Finn tells her Hayden was just leaving. When Hayden is gone, Tracy tells Finn the walls at the hotel aren’t exactly thick and everyone could hear them arguing. She tells him that the hospital board has seen the error of its ways and he’s officially reinstated.

Carly tells Nina the story about Jake’s return. She tells Nina she still doesn’t know where the kidney originated or who the donor is. Nina starts to get weepy and talks about not being able to have children. She says she was a mother for a short time and knows what it’s like to have dreams for your child. Carly says she might never get answers, but she has to try. Nina says that’s what brought them together – they can help each other.

The intruder says his name is Theo and he didn’t mean to trespass. He says his boat was taking on water and he had to come to shore. He says he would have rather come anywhere but there, since people often don’t come back from Cassadine Island.

Ava asks Nicholas if he killed his grandmother, but he says Helena was paranoid. She says she thought she and Nicholas were kindred spirits, but maybe she was wrong.

Laura asks Spencer if Nicholas was ever going to tell anyone else. He says Nicholas was planning on coming for him. He says he didn’t mean to hurt anyone and wanted to tell her the truth. She says she knows how sorry he is, but he’s not half as sorry as Nicholas is going to be when she gets ahold of him.

Sabrrrina tells Michael that watching the nurses attend to Teddy made her realize what she was missing. Michael suggests he talk to Monica. Sabrrrina hugs him, saying she can’t believe it. They kiss.

Finn thanks Tracy. She says she owed him and she doesn’t like owing anybody anything, even people she likes. He says no time like the present to get back to work. She says he seemed tired, but he blames it on Hayden. She tells him not to overdo it, but he says he doesn’t know any other way. She leaves and he leans against the door.

Theo says this is his first time in the house and his only relationship with the Cassadines is selling them fish.

Spencer doesn’t know exactly where Nicholas is and Laura tells him to get dressed. Doc asks if she’s okay. She says she knows she should be relieved, but she’s angry. Doc says it sounds like Nicholas was in fear for his life. Laura says not his life, but the way he lives it. He asks what she knows and she says it wouldn’t be fair to confide in him.

Ava tells Nicholas his plan to start a new life is a failure. She says she also failed when she tried the same thing, but regrets are worthless. Nicholas asks what he is to her and she says that remains to be seen. He asks if she’s ever wanted a do-over. She tells him she has to see what’s in store for them before she wishes for one. They kiss.

Michael says it was too soon, but Sabrrrina says no. Finn enters the hospital and Sabrrrina tries to thank him, but he says he has work to do.

Tracy sees Hayden at the bar. Hayden explains that Tracy needs to use her influence to save Finn’s life.

Nina suggests using the magazine to tell Jocelyn’s story. She says at the very least, it will shed light on the organ donor black market. Carly agrees.

Laura says she doesn’t want Doc to perjure himself, so she won’t tell him the details. She says that Nicholas will be in trouble if he comes back and Jason has been left a fugitive. Doc asks what she’s going to do, and she says get Spencer home.

Theo says he was just there for shelter. Jason asks what he saw. He says a man and a woman. Sam explains they’re fugitives and it has nothing to do with him. Jason says something about Nicholas getting hit in the head.

Ava takes a pouch from Nicholas’s pocket while they kiss. It’s the diamonds. She says look, she pulled the family jewels out of his pants. BA-DUM-CHH!

Jason tells Theo to stay in plain sight. He goes near the fire to warm himself. Jason tells Sam to go to bed, but she decides to catch up on Cassadine history and takes the book. At the fireplace, Theo pulls up his sleeve, exposing a tattoo.

Tomorrow, Anna goads Julian, Hayden asks Tracy for help, and Laura tells Lulu that Nicholas is alive.

The Real Housewives of the OC

Briana and family are moving back to the OC. Vicki is glad to see the end of Oklahoma City. Briana has some health problems, so this will make things easier on her. I guess Ryan is staying behind to sell the house? We flash back to when he and Vicki weren’t exactly getting along, but now things are just peachy. Okay, Vicki explains that Ryan has to finish up his job, but he’ll also be overseeing the sale of the house.

Meghan is taking fertility shots and making a video diary for Jimmy who’s away at baseball camp or whatever. Concentrating on a future baby, Meghan overcomes her fear of needles and finally does it after I’m not sure how long because I wasn’t paying attention. She’s pretty proud of herself.

Shannon and David’s house is in escrow. She says they’ve been in escrow a few times and are waiting for buyers getting overseas money. She says it’s like a symbolic fresh start for the family and she’s looking forward to starting new. She visits the realtor (from Sotheby’s!), who’s hoping to see some action from the buyer by the end of the week. Shannon and the realtor discuss the family getting a rental while looking for another house. She wants to create a “green” home.

Briana is at the wheel as she, Vicki and the boys drive back to California. Briana flashes back to her and Vicki’s estrangement because of Brooks. One of the kids has to use the bathroom, but they’re in the middle of nowhere. Vicki suggests finding a bush, but good luck in that forever flatland. They discuss Briana’s health issues. Vicki wonders why a doctor can’t just fix her.

Meghan calls Kelly. The girls are going out, but Meghan isn’t feeling well, so she’s taking a pass. Kelly is nervous not to have Meghan with her and we flash back to Kelly’s awkward meeting with some of the group.

Thirteen hours to go and I have the feeling we’re on at least round three of complaining about everything. Briana has recently had surgery, and is feeling the struggle, and I’m not sure why Vicki isn’t driving. Vicki asks if Briana wants to spend the night in a hotel, but Briana just wants to get the blip home.

Kelly orders a shot for medicinal purposes because she feels a cough thing coming on. Heather tells the ladies about a book that she and Terry are writing about their adventures in health and beauty. She wants to do a launch party, but shes’ worried the house won’t be ready. Kelly also wants to have a party. She thinks the ladies should loosen up.

Tamra can’t wait to tell everyone that Kelly had lunch with Vicki. Kelly says she knew Vicki through a hairdresser and likes her. Heather explains that they’ve all just been through the mill with Vicki. In her interview, Kelly says she’s been in Vicki’s position, loving the wrong person, and sees herself in Vicki. Heather thinks Kelly should take their past with Vicki into consideration, but Kelly thinks they should cut Vicki some slack. It’s an agreement to disagree at this point, but I’m sure this will rear it’s ugly head later.

Hour twenty-one and Vicki and company make it home. In her interview, Briana talks about how uncomfortable she is with her leg swollen and bleeding, but I have to add that she looks really good. Last season, it seemed like she could barely bother to comb her hair, but now she looks much more pulled together.

Briana has to go to the hospital and the boys drive Vicki nuts. Ugh! This is not a fun grandma moment. She’s bringing a bag to Briana, and getting them in the car is a major achievement. One forgets his iPad and I just shake my head.

Tamra is having her BMI measured. She says she’d been praying for Christian people in her life and God sent her trainer, Mia. She says Mia is her therapist and spiritual guide as well. We flash back to Eddie telling Tamra to stay out of Ryan’s financial business. She and Mia discuss giving the control over to God and praying rather than worrying.

Heather is tired of working on the new house and just wants to move in. She’s looking at $7000 grills, and it reminds me of when my husband and I got a grill at Sears. There wasn’t a salesman to be found and we started to wander around, looking at the pricey ones, just like Heather is now. Voila! A salesman appeared. When he asked if he could help us, and we said we wanted the $300 grill rather than the $3000 one we had been looking at, his disappointment was apparent. We both said, “Sorry!” at the same time.

Heather tells us hexagonal ice is jewelry for your drinks. Shaking my head again.

Briana gets something in her arm to give her antibiotics and other medication while she’s at home. She says it wasn’t easy to convince the infectious disease doctors to let her go. Vicki talks about Kelly’s invitation to the party, but Briana wants to lie down. Vicki tells Briana that she has to get to work. In her interview, Briana complains, but in hers, Vicki says she just bought Briana a house and money doesn’t come out of thin air. Truth!

Kelly and Michael get ready for their party. Kelly nixes Michael’s outfit and chastises him for not putting the ice machine on the night before. They have a beach backyard where the party is going to be happening. Michael gets the fire-pit going and Meghan arrives. Kelly tells her she isn’t sure if Vicki is coming, but she told her to bring Briana.

The guests trickle in and there’s talk of a volley ball game. Vicki shows up in some really cute camo wedges. In her interview, Vicki says she doesn’t want the ladies to dictate her social life. She says hello to everyone. Kelly’s mother and brother are also there, and Jimmy actually makes an appearance.

It’s time to eat and I drool over the fancy sandwiches. Heather and Vicki discuss Briana. Heather has decided to treat Vicki as an acquaintance. Shannon is pissy about Vicki being there. Vicki sits with Tamra and tells her that she’s still healing from last year’s sh*tstorm. She says she misses her friends, but it goes both ways and she doesn’t feel that Tamra was there for her. Tamra says her story was always changing and wonders how she could live in the same house as Brooks and not know what’s going on. She asks why Vicki wouldn’t go to her friends.

Meanwhile, Shannon gives Kelly the skinny on the fake medical document and what went down between her and Vicki. Shannon doesn’t believe Vicki didn’t know about the lying and says there’s a difference between making a mistake and perpetuating a lie. Vicki tells Tamra that she believed Brooks and was rooked along with everyone else. Tamra tells her to be honest and Vicki says she has been. She repeats that she believed Brooks and was ganged up on by the women. Tamra says she’s disappointed that Vicki never apologized. Vicki says Tamra didn’t handle it well either. In her interview, Tamra says Vicki is best at blaming others for her own messes.

Vicki insists she didn’t lie about Brooks, but Tamra says even when the lies were exposed, Vicki still chose Brooks over them and her own daughter. She says Vicki needs to be less stubborn. Vicki starts to cry and asks Tamra to forgive her. In her interview, Tamra says Vicki will never admit she knew Brooks didn’t have cancer, but she’s going to let it go. Vicki wants to start an apology tour and Tamra says, just do it.

Next time, Party at Kelly’s, Shannon and Vicki get into it, Meghan tries for a baby, and Briana is back in the hospital.

** Hope you’re watching Odd Mom Out. Even if you don’t have kids, it’s easy to relate to. And although it out New York Citys every other show set in there (including Sex in the City – sorry, no real humans live that way), you don’t have to live there to “get it.” Tonight’s episode revolved around the futile effort of trying to get tickets for Hamilton, using several of the Broadway actors in bit parts. Very funny. I literally lol several times during every episode.

I’m glad Bravo has branched out into scripted territory with this dramedy, as well as The Girlfriend’s Guide to Divorce. Both of these shows are sophisticated, yet full of laughs.

July 10, 2016 – Sunset Shahs Return from Belize & NJ Teresa Returns from Prison

Standard

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

Shahs of Sunset

Still in Belize, everyone is reeling from Mike’s confession. Well, probably not, but that sounded good. Asa and Reza talk about the stages Mike went through before he finally decided to be honest. Asa says Mike sees his marriage as a landmark test in his life that he failed. She hopes he can be honest with Jessica. She talks about how she and GG went clubbing until 4 am and Reza wonders how someone as sick as GG claims to be can manage that.

Reza tells Mike there’s no judgment, and it took a big man to admit he was wrong. He says no matter what the outcome, they’re there for Mike.

MJ says Tommy showing up is the most romantic thing he’s ever done and she basks in the afterglow. I like Tommy. He’s a little crude, but he seems like a regular guy and I believe he really loves her.

The group goes horseback riding. It’s a first for MJ and she says it’s pretty high up. Yes, it is, especially if you’re short. They ride into the woods and park the horses at some Mayan ruins. Damn, that’s a lot of stairs. If MJ thought the horse was up there, wait til she gets a load of this. GG doesn’t think she can make the climb because of her knees. I get tired just looking at it. And doesn’t GG have a hangover? Reza thinks she should be laid out after boozing it up and thinks she’s lagging behind because of her late night. The ruins are pretty amazing, but Reza voices my thoughts about freaking out on the way down. There’s no banister or railing here, folks. The view is absolutely fantastic. Mike babbles about life being a journey and the universe having a plan for him.

GG is thrilled that she pushed herself to get to the top. Reza is petrified of heights, so this is really no place to be for him. They head down and I nearly get vertigo watching. They stop at a grassy area and have some water. Asa wants to include GG in her couples photo project. Reza interrupts, asking why Asa wants her included in a couples thing, which is none of his business. It looks like what he’s really doing is trying to start a fight with GG.

Reza tells GG she’s problematic and basically gets out of control considering the topic. He tells her everyone is sick of her bullsh*t and pretends to have a heart attack. Reza thinks GG is lying, talking about her illness on social media and then partying hardy. GG tells him he focuses on everyone’s problems except his own. They argue loudly. Everyone else wisely stays out of it.

Suddenly, the argument is over and they move on. Asa points out that this area is where they did sacrifices, but I don’t know if she’s being a tour guide or making a suggestion. In her interview, GG says she has a serious illness and Reza doesn’t understand. Reza texts MJ on the way back that he’s done with GG, but MJ doesn’t want to get in the middle. At the villa, Asa says “see you later” and it sounds like “coup de nãnã.”

The Shahs go to dinner. GG downs a pill during her interview. They watch some native dancing and Asa and GG join in. I’m coveting Asa’s tassel necklace. GG says it’s a been a beautiful couple of days. In her interview, MJ says GG is sinking fast and it’s noticeable that she’s taking pills along with drinking alcohol. Mike and Shervin talk about Mike’s marriage and GG says the topic is boring. Mike suggests she leave the table and Nima asks to talk to her on the side. When they’re gone, Reza says GG needs rehab. Nima tells GG she can’t do this. He says everyone loves her, but when she drinks, she loses credibility.

Fast forward to the morning. Everyone is ready to go and GG is still in bed. I guess she went back to bed, since she’s dressed. Nima tries to get her going and she kicks stuff around.

After the fastest flight ever, we’re back in LA. MJ explains to her dog that in the same way he (she?) sometimes fights with his brother, that people want different things at different times and don’t get along. She’s going to help Mike with his relationship, although I think at this point, only Mike can do that.

MJ picks up Mike. He’s decided to let her help him. Because her own marriage has gone so well. Oh, wait, she’s not married. Mike says a piece of him is missing without Jessica. They go to a flower shop and MJ says they need something special. She tells the clerk they want five dozen roses, giving a bizarre explanation as to why that number in her interview. They want the bouquet passionate and big. It’s pretty, but I wouldn’t call it special. Where is the cool vase and the tsotchkes poking out?

GG visits her parents. She tells them about visiting the ruins and how painful it was. She says she needs a new medication because she’s tired all the time and in a lot of pain. She feels it’s time to do chemo. She’s held off because her mother is not in favor of it. Her mother thinks she should go a more holistic route and try a very restrictive diet. GG says her mother doesn’t understand her level of pain, and I get the feeling her mother is also trying to tell her she parties too much. GG says she’s tired of the person she’s turned into because of the pain. Um… I hate to tell you, girlfriend, but you were always difficult.

Reza is happy with married life. He thinks Mike had a real breakthrough in Belize and he wants a breakthrough in comedy. He tries out some material on Adam. I think he’s one of those people who is naturally funny, but it doesn’t translate well to a stage act. Teeny the dog is not impressed.

Take two Reza’s stand up routine. Asa is overly enthusiastic and startles me when she screams as soon as she sees Reza. They’re having dinner first with Adam and MJ. We see snippets of the preceding acts. Reza says it might be open mic night, but these people seem prepared. Well…yeah. Reza’s delivery could be better. He sounds like he’s reading it and crickets start to chirp. It’s not good. Until he cracks an Erykah Badu joke. Then suddenly, the tides turn. I’m honestly not sure what happened there.

GG goes to the doctor. Her friend, Anita, is with her. Asa shows up while GG is getting her chemo treatment. It dawns on her that GG’s illness is serious and real. I’ve never thought it wasn’t, but I agree with Reza that her partying doesn’t help. Again, it’s his delivery.

In her interview, GG says she can’t fake chemo and she just wants positive people around her. Her parents and sister arrive. The doctor explains that if she’s going to feel badly, it will be worst on the first day. Asa asks some questions and he tells her that it’s the same as what they give cancer patients, but they use it for RA as well. Asa asks if there’s any lifestyle changes that would help and the doctor says not smoking would be a good idea. Everyone puts in their two cents and GG gets agitated. She says she didn’t just spend five hours with a needle in her arm just to hear a lecture. I can’t say as I blame her here. Timing is everything and this is not the time.

Next time, Mike’s shoe shipment is stuck in customs, Tommy talks having children, and Shervin might get a second date.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey

We start off with Teresa’s release from Danbury. There are some flashbacks from the previous season and some choice really old clips of arguments. We hear Joe say welcome home.

Joe #2 and Melissa are getting some construction done. Melissa is opening a boutique. She got her hair cut to shoulder-length this season and it looks great.

Boring Jacqueline is back again. Her son Nicholas has been making a lot of strides. He was diagnosed with autism, but is doing very well and even riding a bike. We’re already introduced to a new wife, Delores, who’s a friend of Jacqueline’s. They’re meeting other new wife, Siggy (what?) at a place called Speakeasy. Or maybe it is a speakeasy. I’m not sure.

Melissa says she invested her own money in the business. Joe #2 says he misses her. He’s “like a tiger and needs to see his meat.” Normally, I would be disgusted hearing that remark, but these two are so cute, I’m okay with it.

Siggy is having a hard time getting into the speakeasy, which is apparently behind a secret wall. She’s also just had a neck lift and has one of those wraps that goes around your face like Jacob Marley in Scrooge. Jacqueline says Siggy and Delores are non-toxic. They discuss Siggy moving back to the house she lived in when she was married and I can’t grasp the dynamics of her past love life. She talks about making it on her own like Mary Tyler Moore.

Joe #2 is coaching football, while Melissa and his dad watch the game. In her interview, Melissa says that she lost her father when she was 17 and envies the relationship that Teresa has with her father, although Melissa is also close to him. Joe #2 talks about Teresa’s release from prison before Christmas and hopes she’ll want to spend Christmas Eve with them, as they didn’t leave things on a good note. She’ll have to get permission from her parole officer to be there.

Everyone is doing Christmasy stuff. Jacqueline’s daughter, Ashley, is home for the holidays. We flash back to the tumultuous relationship between them. She’s grown now though, and has a career and boyfriend. Jacqueline’s husband, Chris, talks about how he started building a new business and they had to downsize. This will probably be their last Christmas in this house.

Joe #2 whines to Melissa about how she only sees him when she wants help with something. In her interview, she talks about Joe having an old school mentality about marital roles because that’s what he was raised with. They talk about Christmas Eve and The Seven Fishes. Joe asks Melissa how she feels about not having been on the list to visit Teresa or even hearing from her. Melissa says that Christmas is Jesus’s birthday and it’s like magic. I guess this means she’s hoping for a miracle.

It’s chaos at Joe #1‘s house with the kids. He can’t wait for Teresa to get back. No doubt there won’t be much time for her to relax before it’s back to the same old.

It’s December 22, the day before Teresa’s release, and Jacqueline and Chris are preparing for their holiday party. Jacqueline has gotten a text from Teresa, saying she’s looking forward to a new beginning. She makes fun of the text and Teresa’s accent, reminding me why I don’t like her all that much. We flash back to the fallout between them. Jacqueline wonders if Teresa’s ghost writer wrote the text

Joe #2 and Melissa are getting ready for the party. Melissa gets a call from Teresa’s lawyer that Teresa can go to their house on Christmas Eve. Going to midnight mass is iffy though. Really? You can go to a party, but not to church? Which one poses more of a flight risk? The lawyer forwards a note from Teresa saying she’s looking forward to the party and asking if she should bring sprinkle cookies, referring to an altercation a few seasons ago. I’m guessing she’s making a joke.

The guests begin to arrive. Drinks and conversation flow. Melissa and Jacqueline confer on the notes from Teresa. Jacqueline is perplexed that Teresa wrote to her. In her interview, Melissa says she’s concerned that Jacqueline is going to “spin” again, after having been blown off by Teresa and Teresa now wanting to have a connection. Melissa tells her not to stress about it or question it. I dunno. How come neither one of these two geniuses think Teresa might have had a change of heart in prison?

Teresa’s lawyer explains to Joe #1 what the procedure is going to be when Teresa gets home, and how she’ll need to have an ankle bracelet for six weeks. Her ETA is between 5 and 6 am the next day.

The party is in full swing. Siggy discusses her plastic surgery with the ladies in the kitchen. Chris talks to Joe #2 about Teresa coming home. Once upon a time wife Kathy talks about how Teresa never even got a parking ticket and the first time she gets in trouble, she goes to prison. Go big or go home, I say. Jacqueline makes a toast and gets weepy about Teresa coming home, confusing me.

Teresa’s lawyer calls from the car on the way to pick her up. He tells Joe #1 the paparazzi are everywhere and Joe says they’re all around there too, like “cock-a-roaches.” Gia comes down and waits with Joe. A video chat comes in from Teresa. No surprise, she’s extremely excited about coming home. We see the car on the highway and the paparazzi are everywhere, nearly colliding with them. How stupid is that? And if that’s the parkway, it’s dangerous under the best conditions.

Teresa arrives home, squealing over a puppy in a kennel in the garage. Welcome home present? Lots of hugs and tears with Joe #1. I’d heard she looked good, but I’m still impressed. She calls out and the girls come running. More hugs and tears. And squealing. Joe, who’s looked sedated for the past year, smiles, watching them. The girls show Teresa all the welcome home signs and she tells them they don’t have to go to school, although Gia wants to for some reason. In her interview, Teresa says she can imagine how lost they were. Me too. I don’t think it’s going to hit quite as hard when Joe goes to the slammer. Teresa also says she’s not going to be so naive again. I’ll bet.

Next time, beer pong, Melissa and Teresa talk, Teresa’s first altercations since she’s out of the pokey, and Rosie! Looks like lots of screaming and yelling this season, as well as Joe’s turn at prison.

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital – Thursday

Nathan tells Maxie that CJ is Claudette. Geez, that was quick. I figured there would be weeks of behind-the-back stuff.

Kristina and Aaron stay at the picnic grounds after the fireworks, making out.

Curtis tells Nina he’s struggling with her Crimson concept of objectifying men. Nina says that’s the point, so men see how it feels. She tells him Julian will be on the cover. She says she can’t think of anything sweeter than Julian naked on all fours on every newsstand in the country.

Paul tells Anna it’s after midnight on July 4th, which makes it the 5th, but I have no idea why this makes anything worse.

Alexis makes up something about feeling sick and Julian backs off.

Claudette says she wanted a fresh start and thats’ why she changed her name; it was just a happy coincidence that her job interview was with Maxie. Nathan doesn’t believe it and says she’s lying the way she always does. Claudette tells Nathan he needs to let go of his anger and claims the universe brought them all together. She says she needs closure and Maxie asks what she has in mind.

Kristina and Aaron bore me to tears talking about nothing. Kristina tells Aaron her father anonymously funds the fireworks. When he asks why, she tells Aaron that Sonny is a mob boss.

Julian says Alexis seems fine, not chilly or clammy the way people with nausea really are. Because he’s a medical professional.

At the MetroCourt, Curtis asks if Nina would reconsider him being on the cover. He says he wants to own it and wouldn’t trust Julian anyway. Nina says she has Julian where she needs him. She tells Curtis about Alexis being arrested instead of Julian. She says she’s Julian’s alibi and he’s very grateful, but if he gives her any trouble, she can be more precise about the time he was with her. Curtis tells her he used to be a cop and not to get on the bad side of the law for the likes of Julian. Nina thanks him for the warning.

Claudette says Nathan needs closure because of his anger. She adds that Maxie only got his version of the marriage. She thinks maybe their paths have crossed so he can see she’s changed. Claudette says that Maxie liked her when she met her, but Maxie says that’s before “CJ” had Claudette’s baggage. Claudette says that the universe has brought them together for closure and she tells Nathan she’s not the only villain. She says only one of them made a huge, irrevocable mistake.

Aaron says when he first met Sonny, all he knew was the coffee and the restaurant, but then he did some research. Kristina says he must know the allegations about Sonny, and Aaron says he’s only been convicted once. Kristina says a lot of the stories are true, but none have anything to do with her, because her father separates business and family. Aaron says he’s only interested in her. He gets the feeling she’s uneasy about something else though. She says sometimes she can’t believe this cute, funny, sexy guy is into her. He kisses her and asks if that answers her question. She asks him to take her back to his place.

Alexis says despite how she looks, she needs to sit down. Jordan can’t get ahold of any of the judges. Alexis says everything is pinballing in her head and it’s affecting her stomach. Julian tells her to calm down.

Aaron and Kristina go back to his room. He says he doesn’t want to be another thing she regrets and there’s no pressure. She asks if he feels like she’s pressuring him. They start making out. Song part as they move to the bed. Zzzzz…

Nathan says now Maxie has met the real Claudette. Claudette says she’s spent years improving herself while obviously he’s still immature. Maxie says they should all sleep on it and she’ll see Claudette at work tomorrow.

Nina works her laptop and Curtis says she obviously loves her job and she’s a woman who has it all. She tells him about hiring Claudette and he says he’d like to get back in the police force. Nina says she’ll give him a reference if need be.

Alexis prattles on about Kristina. Julian asks if she’d like some tea and she says great idea. Anna doesn’t know how long Alexis can stall. Jordan says she’s doing everything she can. Alexis speaks into the mic, saying she has to get out of there because she has a bad feeling. As she’s about to leave, Julian grabs her from behind. I gasp, and my husband asks what’s wrong. Nothing in my world, but can’t you see Alexis is being kidnapped by a lunatic?

Nina says Curtis is the answer to her problem and she doesn’t have to answer to Julian anymore. She says Curtis is good at talking to people and getting what he wants. He says maybe, but what he really needs is a job. Nina tells him he’s hired.

Maxie says maybe Claudette is right, that fate brought them all together so they could work things out before the wedding. Claudette says if Maxie has any questions, she’s an open book. Nathan tells her to do everyone a favor and leave. When she’s alone, Claudette smirks to herself.

Aaron gets out of the bed as Kristina sleeps. Okay, I guess he’s up to some kind of no good. Never mind, he just got a glass of water.

The only thing they can hear in the truck is the tea kettle. Julian finds the wire. What a ^)!@#^)@$%! this guy is. He keeps his hand over Alexis’s mouth. Jordan calls for a couple of units to get to the house and of course the truck won’t start. Julian says she’s betrayed him for the last time and Alexis kicks him in the cojones. He’s only stopped for a second though.

Claudette takes something that looks like a jewelry roll from her suitcase and looks satisfied. Nathan tells Maxie he doesn’t believe this is a coincidence. Maxie says she doesn’t either. She says she used to be a woman like Claudette and tells him about her affair with Lucky. She says it would never happen again, but she became competitive and even pretended to be pregnant. Maxie says Claudette is threatening them, so she had to back off. She says if she’d thrown fuel on the fire, Claudette would have gone to the police. She wonders if Claudette found her lover. Maxie tells Nathan not to give Claudette power and act first.

Aaron tells Kristina she called him Parker in her sleep. She says it must have been a dream. Aaron thinks Parker is over Kristina, but not the other way around. She says she was asleep and didn’t know what she was saying. He says he likes Kristina a lot, but senses there’s more to the story.

The police bust into Alexis’s house, but she and Julian are nowhere to be seen. Paul finds the wire on the floor. Julian takes Alexis to the docks. No surprise, since it’s where all bad things happen. He says one loud noise and he’ll end it immediately the way he did with Carrrlos. Julian starts whining, saying he realized she was wearing a wire and he made a call in the kitchen. His people found the surveillance van and disabled it, so no one can follow. Well, I don’t think it takes Sherlock Holmes to figure out where they would be headed. Alexis tells him not to make it worse. He says he would have saved her from prison and what did she do in return? He says all he ever did was try to change and give her his heart. She says if he ever loved her, don’t do this. He says she betrayed him, so now she’s going to die by the same knife her mother was killed with. Then he goes on about how he told her to get rid of the dagger in the first place. Oh, that’s right, blame the victim. Julian says Alexis is going to die because she couldn’t love him enough. I didn’t think I could hate Julian more than I did, but I do. And I’m not even that crazy about Alexis.

Curtis tells Nina her offer is generous. Nina says taking care of her employees ensures their loyalty. She tells him to come to her office first thing in the morning, and all will be revealed.

Aaron says no judgement, he just wants to know what’s going on. Kristina says all her relationships have been messy, including the one with Parker. She says he deserves to know the truth.

Nathan asks Maxie what the plan is. Maxie says obviously Claudette has a plan in motion. She says usually something like this happens because the ex-wife wants the guy back, but since she doesn’t, what does she want?

Claudette opens another suitcase. On top is the wedding photo of her and Nathan. She hugs it to her chest.

Jordan puts out an APB. Anna finds the evidence bag. She says Julian is going to use the dagger on Alexis. I gotta say, it is pretty cold.

Alexis says when they find her dead, they’re going to arrest Julian. He says they won’t find the body. She begs him not to do this to their daughter. He says he won’t tell Sam anything, but Alexis set the wheels in motion. If she’d just believed in him, they’d all be free. He says he has no choice. She asks if he wants to kill his own child.

Tomorrow, Carly finds out about Jocelyn’s transplant, Molly wants to know where Alexis is, and Aaron asks Kristina if the thing with Parker is over.

General Hospital – Friday

Spencer is down for the count after winning the hot dog eating contest. He suggests everyone leave him and save themselves. He talks dramatically about dying. Laura points out to Doc that Spencer talks very casually for someone who just lost his father.

Sonny has news for Carly about the transplant donor. Sonny gives Carly some documents and tells her that someone named Ramona left after Jocelyn’s transplant, changed her name to Teresa and moved. He thinks she can shed some light on things. Carly says some things should be left in the dark. Sonny says they can move ahead or get rid of the evidence. Carly is torn between walking away and finding out information that could be helpful to Jocelyn.

Kristina tells Aaron that she doesn’t have the greatest track record when it comes to picking people she can trust. Kristina says Parker was her professor, not her ex, and she was the one who wanted more. Aaron asks if that’s why she took a break from school and she says partly. He says everyone has their whatever. Really, he said it that way. And the phraseology actually works. Kristina’s phone rings. It’s Molly telling her to get home now.

Anna brings Paul the empty evidence bag. She’s certain Julian is going to use the dagger on Alexis and tells Jordan to be careful approaching him.

Julian whines that Alexis gave him no choice. I hate when he starts that whining stuff. She asks if he wants to kill his own child. She tells Julian he needs to think and goes on about the baby and what a good father he is, even if he’s batsh*t crazy. He says he knows she’s not pregnant and there was never any baby. She says he saw her take the pregnancy test, but he accuses her of somehow faking it. He says she made him the best man he could be and then destroyed him. He says that man is gone and in a moment, she’s going to be gone too.

Jordan explains about the wire to Molly and Kristina. Both of the girls blame the PCPD for what happened. Jordan swears they’ll find Alexis and bring her back safe. Good luck with that since Julian has like a million hour head start.

Alexis tells Julian that she’s going to make him look her in the eye when he kills her and then he’ll have to look at his daughters. Sonny appears out of nowhere and tells him not to move. I never thought I’d say this, but I love Sonny at this moment. Usually, the best I can say is he’s not annoying me.

Carly talks to Teresa. Teresa says she understands that Carly wants answers, but she doesn’t have them. She says she’s done a lot of transplants, so how is she supposed to remember? Carly says it’s the last one she did. Teresa says she doesn’t know anything about illegal organs. Carly says she’s not a cop and it’s not being recorded, but she’s a mother with resources who will stop at nothing.

Laura tells Doc that part of her wants to leave it alone and not interfere with the grieving process, but another part knows something else is going on. I guess they haven’t tried eavesdropping or checking Spencer’s phone that he seems to have glued to him.

Nicholas says Helena won’t let Jason and Sam take him back to Port Charles. Sam says Helena is dead, but Nicholas says she’s still there and they were foolish to come back after she cursed them.

Laura goes through various scenarios that have happened with Spencer that don’t make sense. Doc says it doesn’t sit well with him either. Laura thinks there’s something more going on.

Nicholas and the gang wait out the storm. Ava tries to extract herself from the whole thing. Nicholas tells her not to waste her breath. He tells Jason and Sam that they should just SKYPE with Jordan after the storm and let him go.

Molly walks into all the cops at her house and wants to know where her mom is.

Sonny tells Julian to drop the knife. Julian says by the time Sonny shoots, he’ll have cut Alexis’s throat. There’s a struggle and Julian drops the dagger. Alexis, who is down on all fours, sees it.

Teresa tells Carly she got word when an organ transaction was to take place. She knew when and where, but not the particulars of who. She said she’d always dealt with the same guy, but a woman came for Carly’s daughter’s transplant.

Spencer leaves Nicholas a message. Doc walks in and tells him he’ll be free to go soon and asks to talk man to man. He says he’s worried about Laura and that she’s bottling up her feelings about Nicholas. He says Spencer might be the only one who can help her. He says it might help her to talk to Nicholas’s voicemail too, and asks if Spencer will share his phone.

It goes dark at the castle and Nicholas disappears.

Molly and Kristina talk about Alexis and what a scumbag Julian is. Kristina says they should have staged an intervention instead of going to the wedding. Molly is nearly hysterical, thinking Julian will kill Alexis.

Struggle, struggle, struggle, and bon mots between Sonny and Julian. Alexis stabs Julian in the back…literally.

Molly says her dad used to be the DA and has connections and maybe he can find out what’s going on. Aaron knocks on the door. He asks Kristina why there’s a cop on her doorstep, and she says her mom’s psycho husband took her hostage. She says she knows he didn’t sign up for this level of crazy, but he says he wants to help.

Julian is still breathing and Sonny tells Alexis to pull herself together. She asks how he knew they were there. Stupid question. Where else would they be? The MetroCourt? He says he talked to Anna and figured it out. Anna, Jordan and the rest (♫ Here on Gilligan’s Isle! ♫) show up. Sonny tells them what happened, but changing it, saying that he stabbed Julian.

Teresa tells Carly that organs for children are hard to come by, and since it wasn’t her contact, she wanted nothing to do with it. She says the woman nearly scared the soul out of her and describes Helena. The woman told Teresa to see to it Jocelyn got the kidney. She’d be well compensated, but she was never to talk about it. Carly shows her a picture of Helena ans asks if that’s the woman.

Nicholas goes to the wine cellar. Jason goes hunting for him.

Spencer says Laura doesn’t need his phone, but Doc says it’s something he can share with her. Spencer suggests Doc leave them alone. Laura comes in and says Spencer is free to go. Doc realizes Spencer has two cell phones.

Jason checks the wine cellar. Nicholas is lying on the floor.

Julian is wheeled into the hospital. Paul asks what happened and Anna says Sonny happened. Ha-ha! At the docks, Alexis wants to go home, but Jordan says she needs a statement. Sonny asks if it can wait, and Jordan tells her to come in tomorrow. Sonny tells Alexis he’ll take her home and she thanks him.

Teresa says that’s her. She says the money just showed up in her account when she’d never even given the number to Helena. She tells Carly that she freaked out so badly, she took Helena’s money and left town. Carly tells her Helena is dead. Hmm…

Jason brings Nicholas back from the cellar. Ava thinks Jason did something to him, but Jason says he found him that way. Nicholas says his head aches and he’s dizzy. Ava tells him it serves him right for abandoning her and he says he was going to find her later. On the side, he tells her he has no clue what happened, but he did pocket the cell phone.

Spencer claims it was his first phone from Nicholas and it’s a comfort. He says he thought it might have special powers to contact Nicholas. Laura says there are a lot of outgoing calls to the same number and there are just as many from the same number coming back. Methinks the jig is up.

Molly runs in, telling Kristina and Aaron what happened according to her father. Kristina suggests they all have a scotch and Alexis will know psychically and return home. Alexis walks in and says they don’t need to do that. Kristina thanks Aaron for all his support and he leaves. Alexis tells them she’s fine and Julian won’t be a problem anymore

Julian is stabilized. He opens his eyes and wonders what he did to Alexis. Please don’t tell me it will turn out that he has a brain tumor or DID or a split personality.

Sonny calls Carly, who tells him about the information Teresa gave her. She thinks it’s a dead end now, since Helena is gone, and I give her a D- in creative thinking. In the hallway, Teresa makes a call, telling the person it’s Ramona calling. She tells them about her conversation with Carly.

Nicholas tells Ava he’s getting out of there and getting Spencer.

Laura asks who Spencer has been talking to, and he pleads the fifth. She asks what happens if she presses redial on his phone.

Sam asks Jason if he thinks Helena is involved.

Carly tells Sonny that Jax got his own way in spite of himself. I don’t remember back that far and have no idea what she’s talking about. Ramona/Teresa says Carly wont learn the truth unless whoever she’s talking to wants her to know.

Jason says Helena is dead, but he doesn’t think they’re alone on the island. Nope. We see they’re not.

On Monday, Finn tells Hayden to stay away, Spencer says Laura can’t handle the truth, and someone else is on Cassadine Island. I think Helena is alive and will never die. There’s a bar she and Faison hang out in on their off time.

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Julian is under the misconceived notion that he’ll be able to raise one of his children from birth. Anna sits in the truck, conferring with Alexis about the wire and testing it. Paul and Jordan are in the truck with Anna. Anna tells Alexis they’re going to do everything they can to keep her safe.

Sonny and Carly talk to Avery about the fireworks like she has a clue. She literally asks for her daddy and imposter Sonny says he’s right there. It must be a real blast when these kids start talking, and yelling things like “WEEWEE!” spontaneously.

Jason and Sam see the picnic on the coffee table. They’re puzzled as to where Ava and Nicholas are. Um…it’s a huge place, put on your thinking caps. In the wine cellar, Ava sees a mouse and her yelling reveals their location. I’ll never understand this fear. In person (mouseson?) mice look like something on a Hallmark card and are about the size of a quarter. Not exactly scary.

Sonny tells Carly about Anna’s plan.

Jordan tells Alexis if there’s any trouble, to let them know immediately. Paul says they’re parked a block away and Alexis says it’s a block too far. Julian arrives with a bouquet of roses that has American flags sticking out from everywhere. He says he wants to do right by her. I think it’s going to take more than flowers.

Jason tells Sam that Nicholas and Ava are coming back up. Sam asks what if Nicholas doesn’t cooperate? Jason says he actually feels sorry for Nicholas, who has everything and threw it all away.

Ava starts hollering about rats and Nicholas tells her it’s not a rat, it’s a field mouse, but Ava is still freaked.

Claudette tells Nathan he owes it to her to listen to what she has to say. She says she’s been out of work for a while and decided to expand her job search. She goes on about how Maxie is like the sister she never had. She says when Maxie mentioned her fiance and showed her Nathan’s picture, she was blown away. Nathan isn’t buying it and thinks she tracked Maxie down on purpose. He says she’s leaving, but Claudette says she doesn’t think so.

Nathan says it didn’t take long for her personality to change. Claudette says she’s not going to let him order her around. She says he was always able to support himself because he had a safety net, but she never had that. She trips down Memory Lane a little about their relationship. Nathan says she set him up and not for the first time. She says she has to admit he’s brave and dedicated, so maybe he could admit she’s moderately talented in graphic design. He says she’s excellent at it, and they talk about old times again.

Ava hears thunder. Nicholas says they can get pretty big storms there around this time of year. He adds that Ava doesn’t seem like the type who would get frightened easily, and suggests they go upstairs before the power goes out.

Carly says no matter what they think about Julian, he’s the father of Alexis’s children, and she doesn’t think Alexis will be able to pull it off. Sonny says he accidentally on purpose told Julian about the pregnancy, so he might be more pliable.

Alexis tells Julian she’s scared. He apologizes about the pregnancy test. Alexis says she understands trust has been broken on both sides. He says he wants to repair the damage in their relationship. Alexis says she’s tired and terrified of going to prison. She says with the baby coming, they have to try and salvage what they had. She tells Julian that she’s working on a new defense strategy with Diane.

Julian says he’s come up with something else. Alexis ask if he’s going to confess and he pulls out the dagger in a plastic bag. Seriously, where was he hiding that? In his pocket? Is that a dagger or are you happy to see me?

Ava asks if Nicholas grew up there and he says until he was sixteen. He says his uncle raised him until Helena staged a coup, but eventually the uncle got his power back. They toast to no more surprises. I think they have one…never mind, there they are.

Claudette tries to get Nathan to look at the fireworks. Nathan says he told Maxie the truth about her. He says Claudette doesn’t know the meaning of the word honesty and she asks if he and Maxie do. He says Claudette thrives on chaos and thinks the only reason she’s there is to cause trouble for him. Claudette says she’s not, but she could.

Carly and Sonny watch the fireworks with Avery. Sonny says he knows he gets caught up in business and other daily life things, but there are moments that are perfect like this one. Aww!

Jason asks how Nicholas wants to do this – cooperate or Jason can beat him, hogtie him and drag him out. Jason says he doesn’t know why Nicholas is throwing his life away, but he’s going to exonerate himself. Ava says he has no authority to take Nicholas anywhere. Sam suggests they call the embassy. Ava says the first person they’ll arrest is Jason.

Alexis asks how Julian got the murder weapon. Jordan calls the station. Julian says it’s the only piece of evidence they have, and now it’s out of police hands. He says by the time they find out, it will be destroyed. Alexis acts grateful. Julian asks if she really thought he’d let her go to prison. He says now that she’s pregnant, he’s even more determined to keep them together. She asks outright if he framed her for a murder he committed.

Ava says Jason is a fugitive and Sam is aiding and abetting. Sam asks how Ava got involved and she says it was a coincidence, which Sam doesn’t believe. Jason tells Nicholas to sit down and hold the daily newspaper up, so the headline and date can be seen. Nicholas balks and Sam says Jason has kicked his ass before and asks if he wants to go another round. Ava suggests he just do what they ask. Jason takes pictures and sends them to the PCPD.

Jordan says the evidence is gone and they could pick Julian up for evidence tampering. Alexis asks if Julian left just enough blood on the dagger to frame her. Julian says he’d never do that and he thought he’d wiped it all off. She mentions their altercation over the bloody shirt and he says she means everything to him. Alexis says it didn’t seem that way then and that she didn’t think he cared until she told him about the baby. He says he’d never intentionally set her up for a crime he committed. He says he killed Carrrlos because he didn’t want him talking and causing them to be separated.

Claudette brings up the shooting. Nathan asks what happened to her lover. She says they haven’t kept in touch, but she’s sure he’s fine. She says all three of them were wrong and made mistakes, and she’s sorry she hurt him. Nathan asks if she’s going to turn him in. Claudette is appalled at the idea and says people change. Nathan asks what she wants and Claudette says to make peace. She just wants to live her life and work with Maxie.

Nathan says it’s never going to happen. He says she cheated on him and broke his heart and she can’t take it back. Claudette says she gets that he hates her, but the job at Crimson was a perfect fit and she hoped they could make peace. She says she’ll leave in the morning, but he says she’s going tonight. She tells him she’ll go, but she really is sorry.

Apparently the cameraman is practicing a crane shot, as we see Carly and Sonny talking about Dante and Lulu’s house from above. Carly knows Sonny intervened. As the camera swoops down, he says he’s a concerned father, but she says he’s a raging control freak. He says she loves him anyway and she says she does and is grateful for him minimizing the violence. They kiss.

Ava mentions Alexis’s pregnancy, which Sam hadn’t known about. Sam says she has to get back to Port Charles. She asks Jason if he wants her to call Dante. Nicholas says once the storm sets in, they can forget about calling or texting anybody.

Jordan wants to get Alexis out of there, but Anna wants it to play out. Paul agrees with Anna. Alexis says she found it hard to accept that Julian killed Carrrlos to keep them together. Julian says if Carrrlos had told the cops he ordered the hit on Duke, he would have gone to prison. Jordan takes the recording and says she’ll be back with an arrest warrant. The least they could do at this point is drive a little closer. Alexis tells Julian she understands and it’s for better or for worse. Julian promises they’ll be all right and Alexis agrees. He moves to hug her and she steps back. She should just act sick and throw up on him. It probably wouldn’t be that hard.

Sam asks what the blip Nicholas was thinking. She wonders if the pain of his family meant less to him than money. Ava says now that they have the picture, Nicholas doesn’t have to go back. Nicholas says he can’t run anymore and he promises there will be no repercussions for Ava. The storm gets worse. Jason realizes the boat isn’t coming back tonight and Sam says it will be one helluva sleep-over.

Carly puts Avery to bed. She wants Sonny to call Anna. Sonny wants her to note that he hasn’t made one call all evening and she thanks him for not being married to his cell phone. I do too. I hate that. Carly says as soon as Julian goes to jail, they can concentrate on their family.

Julian is like what’s up? He says he thought Alexis understood him, but now she won’t let him touch her. Geez, she could make up a million pregnancy excuses for this

Nathan knocks on Claudette’s door, saying everything is ready. He opens it to find Maxie there with Claudette.

Tomorrow, Nathan asks Maxie what she’s doing there (seriously?), Kristina kisses Aaron, and Anna tells Paul they have to arrest Julian now.

The Real Housewives of NYC

Jules definitely has the best tagline – An Asian and a Jew walked into a bar, then they had me! – but I wonder if she’ll make it to another season since it’s her one claim to screen time.

Bethenny’s make-up dude had that fat freezing thing done and I cringe, having read articles about it and knowing how painful it is. Bethenny is launching some chocolates for her final bow at SkinnyGirl. Ramona comes by with flowers. She offers to read in the other room so that Bethenny has company. Very Ramonish.

It’s the pink wig appearance. I remember reading about this in the tabloids.

Sonja and Ramona take a dance lesson. They want to learn hip moves, but something that a more mature woman can pull off. I guess they mean not twerking, which I don’t think anybody should be doing. It looks like they’re having a good time. Ramona talks about the shift in position between Sonja and The Countess as far as the group goes. Sonja is concerned about how quickly things are moving with The Countess and Tom, but Ramona thinks The Countess is being too self-absorbed. Sonja says the dance moves are similar to the “Mashed Potato” and I think everything old is new again.

Carole comes to Bethenny’s product launch. Bethenny looks really cool in her scarlet wig with a fashion forward cut, and black and white colorblock dress. The product is being premiered in a candy store called Eye Candy that looks amazing, and there are a skabillion people in line outside. Bethenny says since she doesn’t have family, she wants Carole to be proud of her.

Having ESP, Carole tells Bethenny she’s proud of her. They discuss Bethenny’s upcoming surgery, which she’s very nervous about. Carole offers to come with her. I like Carole. She seems more like a normal person.

Jules visits her plastic surgeon. She’s concerned about the accident she had and wonders if her who-ha will ever return to normal. The doctor says it will take some time, but it’s a temporary condition. Her gynecologist told her the same thing, but she’s double-checking. The surgeon gives her an examination and says it looks a lot better and eventually all will be well. Jules’s other storyline.

Carole accompanies Bethenny to meet a doctor, and they talk in the limo. Someone has suggested that Bethenny get a second opinion, but Carole says if you doctor shop, you’ll always find someone who will tell you what you want to hear and no one wants surgery. Bethenny is conflicted as to which doctor to use and says she’s interviewed everyone in Manhattan.

Bethenny tells the new doctor about having her IUD removed, and it being a bloodbath afterward. She says out of the options she was given, she’d decided to get the fibroids removed, but after researching it, she wants to make sure it’s the right choice. Dr. Schwartz suggests taking progesterone and giving the body a chance to heal itself. In her interview, Bethenny is concerned that she’s just being told what she wants to hear. There’s no winning here.

Ramona, Carole and Dorinda come by Bethenny’s place. Bethenny is appreciative of their support during her health crisis. Dorinda tells her that she looks much better and Bethenny says she slept for the first time in a while after taking the progesterone. Bethenny has canceled the surgery and tells the ladies about Dr. Schwartz. They discuss birth control methods and surgeries.

Bethenny asks Carole if there’s any hope of reconciliation between her and The Countess. Carole says The Countess hasn’t reached out in a genuine way. In her interview, Dorinda is like, why are we talking about this again? Ramona tells them about her conversation with The Countess, and how she claimed she’d extended an olive branch to Carole and Carole should make the next move. Carole says The Countess confused the high road with her high horse. Bethenny talks about her lunch with The Countess and how she’d never seen anyone so self-absorbed.

Ramona says she’s like the old Countess when they’d first met her. Dorinda isn’t relating because she wasn’t on the scene back then. Bethenny gives Dorinda and Ramona bathing suits. Why? I’m not sure. Ramona calls her bra a “brassiere” and much fun is made of it.

Dorinda meets The Countess for breakfast. Dorinda asks The Countess if she’s coming to her dinner, but The Countess isn’t feeling well. Dorinda says if she wants to get back with the girls, she needs to get back with the girls. The Countess asks why she would want to and Dorinda says that’s a decision she needs to make. The Countess gets annoyed when Dorinda tells her what Ramona said, believing that Ramona is two-faced. She thinks the girls are just jealous.

Dorinda doesn’t want her not to be part of the group. She suggests The Countess show up for a short time. The Countess says she’s not avoiding the group, she’s just in love, but she’ll come if Dorinda will run interference.

Dorinda’s dinner time! It’s in one of those beautiful Manhattan restaurants with brick walls and tiny white lights. In her interview, The Countess says she’s disappointed in Ramona. She wants to confront her about talking behind her back. Carole says she’s going to keep it light and bright with The Countess.

Bethenny says she’s not feeling too great and The Countess has to add that she isn’t either. They talk about Tom moving in and The Countess says he’s been ring shopping. The Countess goes on about what a great match Tom is for her. Carole says they’re celebrating tonight, and The Countess is surprised that Carole is the only one who seems genuinely happy for her.

Sonja arrives, feeling trepidation at seeing Bethenny. We flash back to the Skinny/Tipsy Girl confrontation. Bethenny just wants to move on at this point. Hallelujah, Jules’s who-ha is just about normal. Ramona comes in, saying she found them by their voices. She expresses displeasure at how loudly they were discussing who-ha issues and Bethenny tells her to grow up. She says Ramona loves to make an entrance and get attention.

The Countess confronts Ramona about what she told Dorinda. She tells Ramona that she should just be happy for her. Ramona is miffed that Dorinda told The Countess about their conversation. The Countess says if she’s a friend, she’ll be happy for her and not talk smack behind her back. In her interview, The Countess says she’d thought they’d moved on from that kind of thing. Ramona says she only said something to Dorinda because Dorinda hasn’t known The Countess long. In Ramonaland, this makes it okay.

Bethenny says the three of them – Sonja, The Countess and Ramona – live in a small circle and seem to date the same guys. The infamous Harry is brought up and we see flashbacks. I’ve always wondered what it is Harry has that attracts the ladies. And they always stay friends with him. Bethenny says they all dated Tom too, and it’s pointed out that Sonja has been “friends” with him for ten years. Apparently, there’s some conflicting stories about the duration of their friendship, as Tom claims it was fleeting. Although I see no reason that Sonja would lie about that. The Countess says whatever happened before she and Tom got together doesn’t matter to her. She says all her friends are happy for her except them. She amends that to say Carole has been supportive. She gets up, saying she doesn’t feel well, and stomps off.

Next time, The Countess complains to Dorinda, Jules confronts Bethenny, and Ramona suggests a Mohegan Sun girls trip.

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Hayden is back at Finn’s cell with his works. He says he can do it himself this time. Finn says he made it through the night because of her.

Spencer is having a 4th of July luncheon with Laura and Doc. Laura wonders why he’s in such good spirits, and he says Nicholas would want him to soldier on. I might add that he’s wearing a gigantic USA flag-patterned Uncle Sam hat.

Nicholas brings Ava to the main villa on Cassadine Island. He tells her they have the entire compound to themselves and no one will find them. He says it’s a shack compared to some of the places the Cassadines own in Russia and shows her a gigantic book with the family history. Ava says she dreamed of being a princess when she was a little girl and she’s a bit jealous. Nicholas tells her not to be; they mostly just look good on paper.

Sam is still in London. She meets Jason at a pub. She checked in with her mother and Monica, and they told her to go ahead and stay.

Ugh! First nuNicholas and now nuMaxie, a brunette no less. Maxie is having lunch with Dillon and suspects he’s having girl trouble. She says it shows like a visible panty line.

Morgan and Kiki are on a picnic. Kiki reveals her bikini top and also her bullet scar, which I’m glad they made a big deal about because I thought it was bug bites. She covers back up, seeing Morgan’s reaction.

Nathan says Dr. Mayes death has been ruled a homicide. The same drug was found in his system as the patients who recently died. Since Elizabeth found the body, he questions her. She tells him Franco showed up after she found Mayes.

Obrecht is going nuts about all of them, mostly her and Franco, being under suspicion. She asks him if he needs an alibi, but he wonders if she’s the one who needs it. Franco thinks maybe they should be more concerned about a murderer walking around who has no motive. Griff says the motive seems obvious.

Morgan puts sun tan lotion on Kiki’s back – as she thinks about kissing Dillon.

A girl named CJ approaches Maxie. Maxie introduces her to Dillon. She’s there for a graphic designer interview. Dillon excuses himself. OMG – CJ is Jessica from One Life to Live. I sat behind her once at Shakespeare in the Park. We were seeing the musical of Two Gentlemen of Verona starring Rosario Dawson and Oscar Issac. Her castmate, Renee Elise Goldsbury, who recently won the Tony for Hamilton, was in it as well. How was that for digression?

Finn starts to feel better and thanks Hayden. Tracy enters because there’s no security whatsoever at the jail. She says she’s the bearer of good news and tells him about Mayes’s murder.

Griff says it seems like an angel of mercy scenario, but Obrecht says Bobbie and Lucas weren’t infirm. He says that blows his theory. Griff points out that Finn was in jail at the time of Mayes’s murder. Obrecht wonders if it could be Griff, but he says the worst thing they can do is start pointing fingers at each other. He leaves and Franco wonders why Obrecht is overly concerned. It flitted through my mind that Obrecht might be the culprit – I could see her killing patients for a higher purpose – but Bobbie and Lucas threw me off there too.

Maxie interviews CJ, going over her resume. They discuss how Nina turned Crimson around and CJ says she’d love to be part of their creative process. She notices Maxie’s engagement ring and Maxie shows CJ Nathan’s picture. Maxie thinks she’s right for Crimson and I think she’s Claudette.

Finn is surprised at Tracy calling Mayes’s murder good news. She says for Finn, it’s spectacular, and points out that he must be off the suspect list. He says that’s not the reason he’s in jail. She says she’ll have a team of lawyers negotiate his release immediately.

Nathan questions Franco. Franco says he’d been in the cafeteria. He heard Elizabeth screaming, and when he got there, Mayes was already dead. Nathan wants the cafeteria receipt, but Franco says he has a barter system with the staff and was there after hours.

Obrecht tells Elizabeth to get back to work .Elizabeth says she is working and Obrecht isn’t her boss anymore. Franco comes to the desk and Elizabeth asks how it went.

Jason tells Sam about what happened at the shed with Hux’s henchman. He says now he has to figure out a new way to find Nicholas.

Laura and Doc leave the table. Laura thanks Doc for examining Spencer on the QT. Doc thinks maybe they should tell him he’s being examined. Nicholas calls Spencer.

Dillon comes back to the table. Maxie hires CJ. This ought to be good. Not too comfortable for Nathan though.

Morgan tells Kiki things will be different now. He can’t party or drink or be too crazy, and he doesn’t know how fun that will be for her.

Finn doesn’t think Tracy can get him off, but she says don’t underestimate ELQ lawyers. She goes to see about his release. Hayden asks how he’s gong to get his medication if he’s not at the hospital. He says he’ll have his supplier reroute it. She offers to continue to help, but he says she’s done enough.

Nathan asks Obrecht for the schedules.

Sam says Ava has to return to his daughters some time, and that Nicholas will have to send for Spencer. She thinks they should retrace their steps, but Jason thinks they should check Cassadine Island. Duh.

Spencer chit-chats with Nicholas. Nicholas tells him to pack one bag when he goes home and be ready to go at any time. Laura overhears him saying “father” and wonders what’s going on. Spencer says he calls his father all the time, calling his voicemail so he can hear Nicholas’s voice.

Nicholas goes to get food and Ava hears a noise.

Sam says Nicholas must know that Cassadine Island would be the first place to look for him. Jason says as far as Nicholas knows, everyone thinks he’s dead. Sam says it’s a fortress, but haven’t they broken in there before?

Maxie asks CJ if she wants to come to the fireworks, but she says she’d rather prepare for the first day at her new job. She leaves and Dillon says CJ seems perfect for the magazine. Maxie suggests she might make a good girlfriend for him. He says he doesn’t want to mix business with pleasure, but Maxie thinks it’s really about Kiki.

Morgan says no matter what, he’ll stay stable, and he wants Kiki to know he’s there for her. They kiss.

Finn gets released. Tracy tells Hayden since Finn thinks she’s a decent human being, she’ll endeavor to do the same. Finn suggests they go eat something, but Tracy says she’s off to work on getting Finn reinstated.

While Nathan is talking to Griff, he gets an emergency call. A mystery woman has left a message for him to go to the MetroCourt immediately about police business. He thinks it’s Maxie and I think I’m right about Claudette.

Elizabeth asks Franco how he showed up just when he did and Franco says because she was shouting. He adds that he didn’t kill anyone and asks if she believes him.

Tracy approaches Obrecht and tells her that the prosecution of Finn stops now. Obrecht says since he refused to take the drug test, he had to be suspended per hospital rules. She tells Tracy that all his work had to be destroyed as well, because of his work with infectious diseases. Tracy is livid.

Finn and Hayden are having lunch. Finn gets a call.

Ava calls out to Nicholas, but gets no answer. She picks up a fireplace poker and Nicholas walks in behind her. She says she heard a door slam and he tells her it’s just a draft. I’ll bet it’s Hux. Or Jason. Nicholas tells her to sit down to a 4th of July feast and she gets bummed, remembering it’s a holiday. And they sure don’t celebrate it over there.

Elizabeth is juggling a bunch of sodas and food at the fireworks. Franco helps her and she asks if he wants to join her and the boys

Tracy tells Obrecht that there are grounds for unlawful suspension. She says she’s getting Finn reinstated immediately.

Finn says the call was nothing, but Hayden says clearly it was something. He says since he was arrested, there’s been a problem with customs and his medication.

Doc tells Laura that it’s normal for a child to try and reconnect. She says for a moment, she really believed he was talking to Nicholas.

Ava says she never thought she’d be having a 4th of July picnic in a haunted mansion. Nicholas tells Ava that the mansion isn’t haunted; ghosts are afraid to be there. He asks her to check out the wine cellar with him. As soon as they’re gone, Jason and Sam walk in.

Nathan goes into the room at the MetroCourt. Yep, I was right. CJ is there and he calls her “Claudette.”

Tomorrow, Sonny is worried about Alexis, Claudette tells Nathan there’s something he needs to know, and Alexis asks Julian if he’s going to confess.

Below Deck Mediterranean

Bobby feels badly about kissing Hannah, since his feelings are stronger for Julia. What’s wrong with this picture? Oh yeah, Julia made it clear she has a boyfriend and isn’t interested in him.

The captain orders a MediVac to get Danny off the boat. Nothing they’re doing is bringing his fever down and he needs real medical attention. Regardless, as Ben says, the show must go on, and he makes more fabulous food. Bryan updates Jen as to what is going on, and she’s going to accompany him to the mainland.

The jeweler has arrived! He has some interesting pieces, although they’re a little big and chunky for me. Julia and Tiffany set a gorgeous table for dinner. Lots of drinking and revelry, although much more reasonable than most of the charters. No foam parties or anything. The guests request that the captain join them for dessert. It’s some kind of lemon coconut thing that looks like a dream. Captain Mark says he enjoys interacting with the guests on a limited basis (i.e. not making out and taking pictures). We find out that he’s been married for 16 years. The way we find this out is when he says he just celebrated his 16th anniversary, and then Linda, the primary, asks him how long he’s been married. Hannah says at least this group is super polite when they’re drunk.

Bobby (which I almost typo-ed as “Booby,” which might be more accurate) hopes Danny is fine, but says things are a lot quieter without him. From the preview before the commercial, it looks like the next group of guests is going to make up for all the quietness and politeness.

Jen and Danny come back. He has gastro-something. He’s is on antibiotics and goes back to bed. Bryan shows Jen how to do knots his way again. Bobby and Ben discuss whether Danny should get tipped for this charter or not. The general consensus is, no work, no tip. Ben tells Danny he should forfeit his tip before the fact, so he’ll look a little better. Even though he hates not sending money home, Danny tells the captain that since he caused more work for the crew, he’d like to forego the tip, and the captain says he’ll take it under advisement. Everyone is sad seeing the guests leave since they behaved like humans and treated the crew likewise.

The captain tells the crew about Danny’s forfeiture. The tip is the largest so far – 20,000 Euros – 1800 USD each.

The next charter is a group of friends who have been together for years and expect five-star treatment. They want a theme costume party and Hannah suggests a Venetian party. Captain Mark asks how the communication has been going with Hannah and Ben. They’ve come up with a system and everything is copacetic…for now. Wow. No break this time between charters.

Danny surrenders his phone. Julia and Ben talk about their backgrounds. Julia says she could tell that Ben came from a privileged and educated background. She says that private school boys have an air of self-righteousness about them, but I figured he was like that just because he’s a chef. Bryan checks to see if Danny has his list. Both he and Bobby pick on Danny even though he’s still not totally recovered. Bobby goes on about how Danny got his phone taken away from him and Danny just wants to get back to work. Danny complains to Ben about the list thing and Ben tells him to try to avoid any conflict. Danny says he’s going to have to be fake, which he hates.

The guests arrive. Hannah thinks they look high maintenance and misses the last guests already. She gives them the tour. She says normally it takes less than ten minutes and an hour into the charter, she’s over it. She’s having difficulty getting them to listen to any safety instruction. Ben tells her if they stick together and be cool, they’ll get through it.

Tiffany compares the charter to a frat house. Yep. And totally undeserving of the amazing snacks Ben has created. Okay, one of the guests is down already, having slipped off of the bar and onto the floor, so drunk that she can barely make it to the lounge chair. She asks Tiffany to help her get to the cabin to put on her bikini. One of the primaries complains that the trouble with drunk guests is that they take attention away from the rest of them.

Hannah has to tell Ben that only one guest is still moving around and some of them might not make dinner. Once again, I think, all the wrong people have the money. Danny asks if he can go on a jet ski and check out some caves since the guests are down for the count. Bryan asks if he thinks he’s at Club Med.

The first guest who comes back to life asks for a drink and in her interview, Julia is like, he just got done sleeping the first ones off. Bleh. The guests that are lucid sit down for dinner and put on their Venetian masks, demanding more vodka. They keep hassling Hannah. In her interview, she suggests one of them should just tattoo “dickhead” on his forehead. They’re all more interested in alcohol than food.

Bryan bugs Jen about the knots again. He wants her to tie one right now. She says she might not be the best deckhand he’s had, but neither is he the best first mate she’s had. He says at the end of the day, she works for him though. She tells him she’ll get the knot thing, and doesn’t need his help.

The guests are pretty disgusting, with one guy sitting there swilling liquor and shoving food in his mouth while he’s not wearing a shirt. Seriously, no way would I spend this kind of money to be an a-hole. You can do that for free.

Bryan tells Bobby about Danny asking to go exploring and says they should have gotten rid of him in the beginning. Bryan complains about Jen next. At the same time, Danny and Jen confer. Danny says he hopes his work will speak for itself. He’s bummed that he’s cruising the Mediterranean and can’t take any pictures. Maybe he should get a disposable camera the next time they go to port. He says if you don’t have any picture to post on social media, it’s like you didn’t do it, and that makes me sad.

Julia brings the guests breakfast. The guests make fun of her accent. Nice. If that was me, they’d be wearing that omelette. In her interview, she wonders if they realize she’s right in front of them. Here’s news for you, Julia, they don’t care.

One of the drunks guests asks the captain about going ashore to do a hike. Frankly, I’m not sure he’s in good enough shape to hike to the bar a deck away. He tells Captain Mark that a couple of the drunks guests aren’t getting along with Hannah. This seems like a weird time to bring this up, since she’s having the other two pinch hit for her. The really good news is, they’re extending the charter for two more nights.

The captain calls Ben, Hannah and Bryan to the bridge to tell them. He tells Hannah the drunks guests have perceived she’s not into them. She says they’re vulgar and disgusting, and she can only be pushed so far before it’s apparent she’s not thrilled.

Next time, Julia calls her boyfriend, Danny goes hiking with Bryan who takes pictures with his phone, Julia confronts Ben about his condescending attitude, making him cry. What?

Southern Charm – Reunion Part Two

Andy asks Kathryn if she wants to clear anything up about her relationship with Thomas. She says she only wants to have peace and co-parent in a sane manner, and thinks his offer wasn’t fair. She says she did a detailed budget and it doesn’t compare to what he’s offering. Thomas counters with hus desire to do more than what’s fair and says she’ll be comfortable. Kathryn surprises us by saying that at one point, Thomas designed a ring. When asked by someone on social media why she doesn’t work, Kathryn says she’s been putting together some vintage jewelry pieces. She says one of them is the necklace she’s wearing, which I gave her props on last time. Landon laughs because she’s an idiot who doesn’t have a creative bone in her body.

They discuss the polo match. Andy asks why Kathryn was so upset. Kathryn says she saw an old Thomas enabler, who she felt was inappropriate to be around Kensie. A viewer suggests she faked a pregnancy complication to get him to co-sign on the house, but even Thomas disagrees. Landon still thinks she’s a psychopath trying to manipulate all of them. Andy points out the plethora of negative social comments Landon has gotten. Craig says something so complicated to justify what Landon says, I can’t even comprehend it. Thomas says he has a Downs Syndrome brother and he’s proud that Kathryn decided to carry the baby to term despite there being complications. Craig thinks Thomas and Kathryn are going to end up together and Shep compares them to Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. Huh?

Jennifer joins the group. She’s pregnant with her first child. They joke that the father is Thomas. She talks about how supportive Kathryn has been. Andy asks how they became friends and she says the three of them were close friends in the beginning. She explains that she went out with Thomas a couple of times when Kathryn and Thomas were broken up. Andy asks if they slept together and Jennifer tells him that she’s never going to answer a question like that. Shep brings up that the implications with Jennifer don’t bother Kathryn, but she’s bothered by Landon.

Jennifer says the way Kathryn reacts might not be right, but Landon definitely likes to push her buttons. Jennifer says she can’t say she’s not involved with Thomas and then post pictures that are incendiary. Kathryn says her problem with the whole thing is that it’s intentional. The women all start talking at once and Andy moves on.

Andy brings up Thomas being a bully to Jennifer at the party. He suggests Thomas can be more hormonal than Kathryn. Jennifer says she didn’t call Kathryn to upset her, but to absolve herself. Andy brings up when Thomas tried to put the kibosh on the Kathryn/ Jennifer friendship. Jennifer says she didn’t realize that Thomas had made an ultimatum, and Kathryn says she felt pressured to placate him. Jennifer says it hurt her feelings, but if it meant Thomas and Kathryn’s relationship would do better, she can live with it. Thomas says that he has a lot of respect for Jennifer now. Jennifer tears up. Thomas gives her a hanky. (Ha-ha! Spellcheck would like to change that to “honky.”) She says the support means a lot since the only thing that matters is her child. She says she understands now about Kathryn being emotional when she was pregnant and Thomas trying to keep her calm. Andy asks if she has any final thoughts. She says both Kathryn and Thomas work well together when they try and care about their kids more than themselves.

Exit Jennifer and on to Whitney. He says he’s main base is in Los Angeles now. Andy asks about Larissa. He asks about them breaking up, but Whitney uses the euphemism “taking a break.” He says he’s hoping for the best, but he doesn’t know. That’s vague. Andy asks how the friendship with Thomas stands. Whitney says he hears more from Thomas when he and Kathryn aren’t together, but they’re still bros.

They talk about the Southern dinner party from hell. Thomas tries to use the word pandemonium and can’t pronounce it. Kathryn says there was definitely a grain of truth in what Thomas said. Thomas explains that while he didn’t invite Whitney, he invited Landon in hopes that she and Kathryn would get along. We see Thomas’s window escape again, and Kathryn explains that she wanted to fix things with Landon on her own and not involve Thomas. Andy asks why Cameran went to the dinner party when she was avoiding them all season. She claims she wanted to let them prove that they could all get along. We see how well that worked.

We see the clip of Thomas insulting Cameran. She says she was “terrified,” since she’d never been spoken to that way. Grow up. Cameran says she lives her life by a certain standard and can probably work on her judgmental nature. They laugh about Craig not knowing what sanctimonious meant.

Moving on to Landon, who claims she was glad to hear Thomas stand up for Kathryn, who rolls her eyes. Landon says she never knew someone where the paternity had to be questioned, but apologizes. Not accepted. Kathryn says she feels that for once, Thomas was being honest. Thomas says his intentions were good. Shep says it takes two to tango, and you can’t be friends with someone who upsets one of a couple.

Andy brings up that it’s the second time Thomas went after Shep for being a momma’s boy. Shep says there’s a certain amount of nepotism that Thomas has benefited from too. Thomas says emotions are dangerous and feelings are to be felt, not acted upon. Shep applauds his epiphany. He says he didn’t live up to the Ravenel standard. Andy pries into Thomas and Kathryn’s business by asking if they spent the dinner party night together. Kathryn skirts the question, saying she just wanted Thomas to calm down. Thomas retracts everything he said and Cameran concurs that he called everyone afterward.

Cameran is called on the carpet about being on The Real World and hosting a Girls Gone Wild segment, the latter a surprise to all of us. She says she didn’t know what she was doing, but Shep thinks it’s awesome. Apparently, Landon was almost on The Hills and talks nonsense. Andy moves on to Kathryn’s dislike for Landon. She says the things Landon has said weigh heavy on someone who’s a mother. Cameran calls Kathryn “reactionary” and I wonder who uses that term in 2016.

Landon brings up Kathryn calling Thomas’s nanny out for domestic abuse and says that’s how he lost the campaign. Hahahahahahaha! Yeah. The fact that he went to prison for drug trafficking and didn’t exactly have a squeaky clean image had nothing to do with it. Andy brings up Landon and Thomas getting together, and how Thomas tried to appease Kathryn by keeping it from her. Kathryn says it hurt her feelings and she felt betrayed. They discuss Kathryn’s confrontation of Landon at the Founder’s Ball. Kathryn talks about how disrespectful Landon was and how she’s never accountable. Craig says there still isn’t a source for the animosity. Kathryn points to Landon and Thomas going out when she was pregnant. Landon claims that they never even held hands, but Kathryn says she knows better.

Andy asks Kathryn what she thinks happened. She says Landon initiated something and that Thomas told her that Landon wanted to make it look like they were together. Whitney claims Thomas told him he tried with Landon. We see the clips from Watch What Happens Live with Shep and Craig alluding to the fact it happened. Craig says he said he didn’t know because he didn’t know.

Andy brings up the end of the finale where Landon’s friend, Robyn, said that Landon and Thomas slept together. Cameran thinks Thomas can’t keep a secret, but Kathryn disagrees. Thomas claims any time he’s lied to Kathryn, he’s confessed, but Kathryn begs to differ. Andy asks if it even matters, and Kathryn says it doesn’t, but she wanted to know the truth. Landon says she never had sex with Thomas, but even if she had, he and Kathryn weren’t together at the time. Landon claims she never lies. Hello? Shep’s party?

Kathryn says she doesn’t trust any of them, except Craig and maybe Shep a little.

Andy says it’s been an eye-opening season and thanks everyone. Landon says she’s tired of defending herself. Cameran says she thinks they’ve had positive conversation and we see Kathryn and Whitney hugging it out during the break. Kathryn says they don’t need to hate each other and Whitney wants them to be friends for the kids’ sake. Shep is hoping to stay in Charleston and wants the best for the kids. Andy says Craig has changed a bit. Thomas says it’s important that he and Kathryn be good friends and allies for the kids.

Drinks are served. Shep gives a toast saying they understand each other in a way that no one else can and he loves everyone. They toast to Charleston.

The Haves and the Have Nots

DA Jennifer is pretty freaked about Wyatt’s death. She mentions the inheritance she let him have and says it was like putting drugs in his hand. Blake suggests she blame his parents or the drug dealer. He asks if she’s going to tell his parents and she says she can’t even look at them. Blake says he’ll do it.

Benny takes Hannah to Candace’s house. He tells her to calm down. Hannah is livid about Candace putting Quincy Jr. in foster care, even though it’s temporary. They argue and nosy neighbor tells Hannah she can call the police. Benny says, “Old lady, go to bed,” and makes me laugh. Hannah makes him apologize. Nosy alludes to Candace being a prostitute. She tells Benny if he doesn’t move his truck, she’ll call the police. Benny says he’ll move his damn truck when he wants to, but Hannah makes him apologize again and tells him to move the truck.

Nosy thanks Hannah and tells her not to go over to Candace’s. She says she saw a man go in and never come out, and there are visitors all day and all night. She also gives her two cents about the house design. Hannah tells her that Candace is her daughter. Nosy says she’s sorry and Hannah says she is too. Finally, we find out that Nosy’s name is Pearl. She tells Hannah about Quincy and how he came there and never came back out. She prattles on and says she has a picture of him from her camera, which she says she has trained on Candace’s house. She says she has a lot of policemen in her family. She asks if Hannah would like to see the picture and Hannah says yes. Pearl tells her not to show the guy she’s with and Hannah says that’s her son. Pearl runs inside like there’s a fire happening.

Hannah marches over to Benny. She tells him it’s late and they don’t know where Quincy Jr. is. She walks past him and knocks on Candace’s door. She confronts Candace about putting Quincy Jr. in foster care. Candace tells Benny to take Hannah home. Hannah asks if it’s because Quincy was there and tells Candace about Pearl having a picture of him. She asks if Candace is scared and tells Candace to let her or Benny take her son. Hannah asks a bunch of questions and Candace tells her that Quincy Jr. is with a preacher and his wife. She says he’ll only be there a short time. Hannah is concerned about Quincy coming back and begs Candace to let her have Quincy Jr. Candace tells them good-night and closes the door. Benny finally gets Hannah to leave while Pearl watches from the window.

Landon reads the article about Maggie to Jeffrey. Landon says he knows his mother must have lured Maggie there on purpose. Jeffrey starts to read it, but Landon takes his phone back. He says he doesn’t trust anyone and they’re all crazy. He says every one of them is always up to something and starts packing. He tells Jeffrey to get out.

Benny tells Hannah that Pearl is nuts. Hannah wonders how she would see Quincy go in , but not go out. Benny says maybe she just didn’t see him leave, but Hannah says she has cameras. She says someone like that has nothing better to do than sit around and watch everything. She wonders why Candace would even let Quincy in and then wonders why Benny isn’t upset. He says he knows Candace wouldn’t let Quincy in and tells Hannah to go to bed. She says it doesn’t make sense and asks why Benny keeps looking at his phone. He says he’s waiting for a text.

Hannah says David came to see her about Benny and asks if he’s still messing around with Veronica. He says no. She tells him he’s in the middle of fire if he still is. She says Veronica will use Benny up to get back at David. She thinks of how much alike Candace and Veronica are and then asks if Benny thinks Candace did something to Quincy. Benny says Pearl has Hannah talking crazy and she needs to let it go. Hannah says she hopes Candace is telling the truth that Quincy Jr. is safe because she lies when the truth will do.

Hannah wonders if Candace gave her son to Quincy. Benny says to give Candace some credit. He tells Hannah that Quincy Jr. is fine and to go to bed.

Benny texts Candace, telling her to be at his house in an hour. She calls him and he tells her about Pearl. Candace says she has to find out what Pearl knows and Benny tells her not to do anything stupid. He says Pearl could get them busted for real and they have to get the body out of there. She says they have to wait, at least until he stops smelling. Benny says he’ll look up how long it takes and Candace says she will – from Pearl’s house. He asks her what she’s going to do and she says what she knows how to do. He asks about Quincy Jr. and she tells him good-by. Benny thinks she must be lying about Quincy being with a preacher’s family.

David comes to Jim’s cell to apologize. Jim tells him that he didn’t call off the hit, but David says he knows he did. Jim admits it and David asks why. Jim says when he saw the look on David’s face and how he protects Veronica, he thought of Amanda. David tells him that Maggie is dead. He says apparently she interrupted a burglary – at least that’s what Veronica is telling the police. Jim tells him to sleep with his eyes open. David says he filed for divorce and Jim says all the more reason.

Jim asks if David loved Maggie and he says no. Jim asks if he slept with Maggie and David says he never cheated on his wife. Jim says David is a strong man, but he wishes David would find another way to vent his frustration. David apologizes again. They joke about the fight and Jim asks where it leaves them. David says, frenemies. David says he’ll work on getting Jim out. Jim asks him to hurry and says he owes him a serious ass kicking. They shake hands through the bars.

The phone rings at the Cryer house. Kathryn wakes up, but doesn’t want to answer.

Hannah’s phone rings. Katherine tells her she got “that phone call.” She says nobody calls this late and she didn’t answer it. She tells Hannah it’s ringing again and Hannah tells her to answer. Katherine says she can feel it. Hannah asks what the number is. Katherine gives her the number and Hannah says she’ll call her right back. Katherine lies in bed crying.

Hannah calls Blake. She asks why he was calling Katherine. Blake says it’s about her son. Hannah asks if he’s all right, but he says he needs to talk to Katherine. He asks who Hannah is and she says a friend. He repeats that he has to talk to Katherine personally and says someone is on the way to her house right now. Hannah says she’s already lost a child and have them wait until she gets there. She calls for Benny.

Without waiting for Benny, Hannah picks up his keys. Veronica is at the door. Hannah blows past her and drives away. Veronica asks Benny if he missed her. He says the reason he’s been calling her is that he needs to talk. She asks to talk inside. He says no and he wants her to talk to David. He says David is messing around with his business and he needs his money. He says David came looking for him, asking questions about the two of them, and he told David to talk to her. He tells Veronica to tell David there’s nothing going on.

Benny asks if she knew their picture was going to be in the paper and she says no. He says that’s a trick old chicks play, making their husbands jealous by screwing a young dude. She says if she was going to do that, she’d screw someone who could conjugate a verb or actually make some money. She says she used him for sex and it wasn’t even good. He tells her to get her old ass out of there and don’t come back. He says to tell David to stop messing with his phones or he’s coming after him. Veronica tells him to stay out of men’s games and basically that she was faking it with him. She says David is going to ruin him and to stay away from David because he’s dangerous.

Hannah gets to the Cryer house and thanks the detective for waiting. She calls Katherine and tells her to open the door. Katherine asks why she’s there and says she’s not opening the door. Hannah says Katherine asked her to be there and she is; now she has to open the door. Katherine just keeps saying no, but Hannah says she’s coming in with the extra key and Katherine has to come downstairs.

She opens the door and goes in with the detective. Hannah asks the detective how bad it is and he says, bad. He asks who Hannah is to Katherine and Hannah says she’s a friend, and that Katherine isn’t going to take this well.

Katherine comes down and says she doesn’t want the detective there. She says he was there when her daughter died and asks why he’s there. He says he’s sorry. She asks if her son is dead and he doesn’t say anything. She asks Hannah if her son is dead and the detective says he is. Katherine dissolves into screams and tears. Hannah runs to her and holds her. Tableau on the stairs.

Next time, the blood is scrubbed from Veronica’s walkway, Jim asks Hannah about the lawsuit, Katherine begs Hanna to do something that she says she can’t and Warlock continues to abuse Candace.

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital – Thursday

We’re on a staycation and actually went out, so I only saw the last twenty minutes. Here are the takeaway points to consider.

Julian still didn’t confess, and Anna wants Alexis to wear a wire; Franco and Nina did not get back together; Kiki is still with Morgan; Finn is very sick in his jail cell and Hayden is sneaking around the hospital trying to help him.

And I ask this question: Why is Julian suddenly styling his hair like Littlefinger from Game of Thrones?

General Hospital – Friday

Hayden is dressed in scrubs, taking something out of the mail bin at the hospital for Finn. Her back is to Elizabeth, who asks what she’s doing. Dr. Mays calls Elizabeth away before she can see who it really is.

Valerie asks Jordan if she did the right thing in letting Finn treat the baby before arresting him. Jordan says sometimes you have to weigh what’s important and the baby’s health came first. Curtis shows up to take Valerie out to dinner. TJ pops in next, asking Jordan why she didn’t tell him that Shawn is his father.

Julian tells Nina that Alexis is pregnant. Nina asks if Alexis will have her baby in prison, but Julian insists she’ll get acquitted. Nina says she was convinced that having a baby strengthens a relationship, but she was wrong.

Anna asks Alexis to wear a wire, but Alexis says she can’t keep her anger in check and she kicked Julian out. Anna tells her to kick him back in. Alexis says that even if she could choke out the words, he’d never believe her. Anna says that Julian is enough of an egoiste that he’ll believe she loves him more than her freedom.

Franco visits Heather. She asks him if the real reason he couldn’t work things out with Nina is the baby issue or is he having an affair with Elizabeth? He says he isn’t, and Heather says he wants to.

Dr. Mays says medical advancement in keeping people alive is a shame and I start thinking maybe it’s him who’s been killing off the patients. Elizabeth sees Hayden in her street clothes and wonders what she’s doing at the hospital.

TJ says he overheard a conversation and found out Shawn is his father. He wants to know why Jordan lied and she says she did what she thought was best and as a mother, she’d do it again. He says he was hoping for an acceptable explanation and now she’s telling him this? TJ gets livid and wonders how many times she’s going to lie to him and lists the lies she’s told him. He says she did the same thing to his father and Shawn. She tells him that everything she did, she did because she loved him and wanted to give him a better life.

Nina wonders why Julian is out drinking and not tending to Alexis. She says a supportive partner is crucial and that Alexis is probably high risk.

Anna says the only way Alexis can exonerate herself is wearing a wire to catch Julian. Alexis asks Anna if she thinks it’s safe. Anna tells her about trying to get something about Julian out of Carrrlos before he died. Alexis says the mess she’s in is her own fault, but Anna says it’s Julian’s. Alexis says she owes Anna an apology.

Heather says either Franco wants to sleep with Elizabeth or not. Franco says Nina confronted him and he had to admit there’s an attraction, but they have a messy history. He says they’re friends and he’s proud of himself that he has one. He says he’s also been working with Jake in art therapy. Franco asks about Jeff Webber and what she knows about Elizabeth. She says she doesn’t know much, but she doesn’t like how sad he looks. He says he doesn’t like wondering where his next meal is coming from. She says he’s working on his art again and his paintings will sell.

Hayden asks what it would take for Elizabeth to leave her alone and Elizabeth says, “answers.”

The guard calls for help when he sees Finn lying on the floor. Finn asks him to cancel the ambulance, saying he just needs rest. As soon as the guard leaves, he drops to the floor again.

Heather says she has money to give to Franco. He wonders if it’s pretend money and she says she’s not that delusional. She has money on the outside and says it’s no use to her in jail. She tells Franco that she has $1.5 million stashed away from a man who made her an offer she couldn’t refuse.

Elizabeth says Hayden’s behavior is suspect. Hayden says you’d think with three brats to take care of, Elizabeth wouldn’t have time to bother her. Elizabeth says she heard Hayden telling Finn that his secret is safe and she’s going to find out what’s going on.

Jorden tells TJ she didn’t want him to have to deal with everything that went wrong, like Tommy’s death. He says he’s an adult now. Jordan says that when TJ has children, he’ll understand how you want to keep them safe. He asks if that justifies everything and she says she just feels sad. TJ leaves.

Valerie tells Curtis not to give up on joining the PCPD. He says her boss doesn’t seem too keen on the idea. Valerie says if she wasn’t so hungry, she’d suggest they skip the meal, and Curtis calls the waiter over.

While watching Valerie and Curtis, Nina asks Julian if he remembers what it was like when you couldn’t wait to get home with your special someone. He tells her that his marriage is in trouble.

Alexis tells Anna she knew in her gut that Julian was lying about Duke’s death and eventually he confessed to her. She says she married him knowing what he did to Duke and that was wrong, even though he promised to leave the mob. She tells Anna she’s truly sorry.

Hayden finally gets in to see Finn. He says he’s lost feeling in his hands and she’s going to have to inject him.

Alexis says if she could, she’d change the way things went. Anna doesn’t think Julian would have changed his mind about Duke, but she still has a chance to make it right by wearing the wire.

Franco wonders how Heather got so much money. She says nothing illegal, but she had information and she was paid to keep her mouth shut. She says he also told her how to invest it and she made even more. She just wants Franco to continue to paint.

Elizabeth tells Dr. Mays the patient is resting comfortably and he says that will be all. She leaves him with the patient.

Hayden does her best to inject Finn, following his instructions. He has a seizure.

Jordan leaves a message for TJ. She says she knows he’s furious and has every right to be. She asks him not to turn the anger in on himself and do something he’s going to regret. She asks him to text her, so she knows he’s okay, and says she loves him,.

TJ approaches Curtis. He says Curtis might as well be a stranger. Curtis says he’s concerned about TJ. Valerie steps away to give them privacy. TJ says Jordan never tells him the truth and he overheard Shawn is his dad. He says that means Curtis isn’t his uncle either.

Alexis calls Julian and asks him to come by tomorrow and talk. He says he thought she wanted him out, but she says now that she’s calmed down, she realizes that they need to discuss everything.

Finn recovers and Hayden says he scared her. Finn say he scared himself. He apologizes for how he treated her when they first met. She tells him apology accepted and he says she saved his life.

Elizabeth goes into Dr. Mays’s patient’s room and sees Mays on the floor. She calls for help.

Jordan talks to herself, hoping that one day TJ understands she loves him.

Curtis tells TJ he’s a man now, and he needs to understand things from Jordan’s perspective. TJ says she sent him to live with Shawn without telling him that Shawn was his father. Curtis says TJ needs to sit down with Jordan and listen to the whole story.

Alexis tells Julian she’s tired right now, but asks to get together tomorrow. He says he’ll text her in the morning. She takes the wire from Anna.

Hayden says Finn put a lot of faith in someone he barely knows. He says desperate times call for desperate measures. She says she’ll see him tomorrow. He says he’ll make it through the night because of her.

Still calling for help, Elizbeth does CPR on Dr. Mays. Franco stands in the doorway and watches.

Tomorrow, Obrecht accuses Griff of being the mercy angel, Tracy tells Finn she has good news, and Kiki and Morgan go on a picnic.
