(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)
General Hospital
Sam asks Jason how he thinks Danny is. She doesn’t think he completely understands Oscar is gone. Jason says he read an article (Jason reads?!) on talking to kids about death. They can’t really process it; only in small bits. He thinks Danny got as much as he can handle, and he’ll circle back when he wants more information. Sam feels like Danny. She can only absorb it in pieces. Jason hugs her.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Kim comes down with her suitcase. Drew doesn’t suppose she’s hungry, but does she want coffee? Kim says, not today. She thinks she’ll just head home. Drew asks why she’s leaving; stay with them.
Willow sees Julian at the school. She asks if he was looking for her, and if everything is okay. He says he’s actually there to enroll his son in pre-K. She didn’t know he had a child that young, and he says his son’s mom is busy, so he told her that he’d do the paperwork. She’s glad she ran into him, and asks if he has a minute. It’s about Brad. She thinks he’s making a terrible mistake.
Michael finds Shiloh in the café. Shiloh just heard about Oscar’s passing. He says he wasn’t aware of it when he ran into Michael earlier. They’re planning a memorial for Oscar’s entrance to the next plain. He thinks Kristina would want be there, and tells Michael, if he hears from her, let her know she always has a home at DOD. He hasn’t forgotten how much of her life she shared with him.
Alexis tells Sonny that they don’t have time for this. Neil said it’s important for them to be there today. Sonny asks if she saw a non-descript car parked at the end of her driveway. She says she can’t see the end of her driveway from there. He says that’s why she can’t see the car there. It’s Detective Spencer.
On the phone, Valerie tells Chase that she hopes Alexis leaves to see Kristina soon. She’s running out of coffee. She tells him just keep doing what he’s doing. She hangs up, and watches Alexis’s house through binoculars.
Kristina and Milo finish a game. She tells him, that, my friend, is how it’s done. He says she’s won three in a row, and she tells him, give up the black jellybeans. More evidence that she’s in a cult. Who likes those? He says, the next time, they’re playing rummy or pinochle. Some things never change. Neil comes in, and says he notices a difference in Kristina since she came. She was combative, and now she seems more relaxed. She says she’s known Max and Milo her whole life, and she’s getting used to him. He says it’s time to evaluate. How does she feel about seeing her parents?
Drew asks Kim to stay few days. He could use the company. The Quartermaines look at her as family. Kim says she’s very grateful for that, and appreciates everything they’ve done for her and Oscar. Oscar had such a connection to the Quartermaines. She remembers how he poured over that tell-all book Josslyn gave him. He talked all the time about it, and the various parks and buildings the Quartermaines donated, and what the family has given to Port Charles. Drew said Oscar told him he was very proud to be part of the family. Kim says, as wonderful and supportive as they’ve been, she’s not a Quartermaine. She needs to go back and face an empty apartment. Putting it off won’t make it easier. Drew gets it, and respects it, but thinks she shouldn’t be alone.
Willow tells Julian, Brad is taking DOD parenting classes. Julian says, Brad is a nervous father, and seems to be benefiting from the classes. Willow says, the classes are a lie; like everything else at DOD,especially their leader.
Michael sits with Shiloh. He says he thinks if Kristina felt at home there, she’d still be at DOD. Shiloh says they all came with baggage. Kristina had the weight of her history with her family wearing on her heavily. Michael must have known. Michael can’t say that he did. Shiloh says Kristina was thriving at DOD. He can’t believe she’d just up and leave. Shiloh tells Michael, when he sees her, say he wants the best for her. Michael says, clearly she felt the need to distance herself. Maybe she realized it didn’t work for her. Would Shiloh be okay with that, since he wants what’s best for her? The way Michael says this is actually a little menacing.
Alexis tells Sonny that Neil said it was essential they both be there. Sonny says, it’s essential she be there. Kristina needs to see Shiloh for who he really is. He tells her not to let the cops follow her, and she says that’s why she’s initiated plan B. Diane knocks at the door, and Valerie watches as she goes inside. Wait a minute. How can Valerie see the front door so well, if Alexis can’t see the end of the driveway? It’s not like she has a periscope. Okay. Suspending disbelief. Valerie tells Chase, this just got interesting. Diane is there. She wonders if Alexis needs legal aid because of possible kidnapping charges.
Sam tells Jason that Shiloh came over after he left. Jason asks if Shiloh was checking on her. She thinks so. She told him she was too upset about Oscar when he called, which wasn’t a lie. She shows him the recorder, and says he gave this to her to use for her Pledge. Jason asks if Shiloh told her what he expects. She says he wants her to say something damaging that would have consequences to herself or someone loves. It’s to show her trust and devotion to DOD. The final step before she’s initiated into the Trust. Jason asks what she’s going to do, and she says, give him what he wants.
Alexis and Diane have switched clothes and put on wigs to look like each other. Sonny asks if Diane is sure she can pull this off. Diane says she learned so much from Max about shaking tail. It was imperative that Valerie know she’s there, but he can’t be on the premises. She tells him, leave be the back door. He says he has that covered. He suggests they don’t mention Oscar to Kristina; they don’t want to upset her. Alexis says she can’t process it yet. Diane is glad Oscar reconciled with his parents before he passed away. Sonny says that’s what they’re trying to do with Kristina. Diane says she always wanted to be a brunette. Alexis as Diane leaves. Valerie watches, and a moment later, she sees Diane leave as Alexis.
Shiloh says Michael assumes Kristina’s absence means she’s not coming back. It’s to her advantage to come back. Michael sees how it’s to Shiloh’s advantage. She’s already given him a substantial amount of money, and there’s more where that came from. She has several rich relatives, and a trust fund that kicks in when she’s thirty. That’s a few years off, but maybe she’s already lost interest. Shiloh thinks Kristina’s commitment to DOD goes deeper than Michael thinks. Shiloh leaves.
Julian asks what Shiloh did to Willow. DOD has done good work; he’s seen it. His ex’s daughter, Kristina, was a big part of it, until she skipped town. Their objectives and values are well-founded, so this is based on what? What harm is there? Willow says the harm is Shiloh. Once he gets his claws in someone, he doesn’t let go. Julian must have known men like that, and it’s not like they twirl their mustache or look sinful. They’re smooth, and seem benign, like Shiloh. He won’t just influence Brad; he’ll influence Julian’s grandson. Is that what he wants to happen? Julian says he has little or no contact with his family. She says she takes it back. She’d rather have Julian in her son’s life than Shiloh. Julian says it’s obviously important to her. He’ll see what he can do to look into it, but Wiley is safe and thriving. He tells her, tryto relax, and take comfort in that, and leaves.
Kim thinks she has to give herself a moment, but it will take more than a moment to adjust to life without Oscar. Drew doesn’t think it’s possible, but Kim says they’ll figure out a way through it at. At the end of the day, she has to live in an apartment alone without him. Drew thanks her for coming to Port Charles, and sharing the remarkable boy she raised. She wishes she’d found Drew sooner, and he says, him too. She says, Oscar loved him so much. He was so proud to be Drew’s son. Drew says he was proud to be Oscar’s father. She says he made the last year of Oscar’s life a dream come true. He helped Oscar die happy. They hug, and he gets the door for her. She goes out, and he looks at the empty entryway.
Sam tells Jason that she has Shiloh where she wants him. He trusts her to be in his inner circle. Jason says where he’ll drug her, rape her, and tattoo her. She says she’ll be gone long before that. When Shiloh is listening to her Pledge, she’ll steal Kristina’s Pledge, and be out of there. Jason asks how she’s getting away, and she says he’ll be there to help her. He says, always. He asks what her Pledge is going to be, but she doesn’t know. She’ll invent something. He says if she really wants to help, don’t invent something about herself. Make it about him.
Drew opens the door to Shiloh. Shiloh says he’s so sorry. Drew thanks him, and asks if he wants some coffee. Shiloh says, sure, and comes in. He tells Drew, things like this can humble you. When they were in Afghanistan, they shared a lot of grief; a lot of mutual friends didn’t make it back. It wasn’t until Shiloh almost died that he realized he had no idea what the afterlife meant. Death is not really death. He knows that’s no consolation, but tells Drew to know just because his boy isn’t there, he’s not gone.
At the safe house, Sonny asks Milo how Kristina is. Milo says still beating him at games. Neil says, Milohas a good effect on Kristina, and Sonny says, maybe this session will be a tipping point. Neil asks if Alexis is going to be there, and Sonny says she has a plan, but he doesn’t thinks it will work. Alexis comes in, and Sonny says he stands corrected. Alexis tells them that Valerie is following Diane, and asks where Kristina is. Milo says he’ll check outside to make sure she wasn’t followed, and tells them, good luck. Alexis asks if Kristina is okay, and Neil says, she’s better, but don’t push her. Let her set the pace. He tells them, be careful, don’t engage in inflammatory behavior. Kristina comes downstairs, and Sonny says she looks good. Alexis says she owes Kristina an apology, but Kristina says, first, she needs them to hear her out.
Kim sees a shrine in front of the apartment door; pictures, teddy bears, flowers, signs that say, we loveyou, Oscar. She looks at everything, and cries. She smiles a little, and reads a note attached to a T-shirt. You caught me when I fell out of a tree. You’re the best! Love, Gigi. She reads another; thank you forthrowing a party for us when the school wouldn’t. We already miss you. And another; sorry I never paidyou back. Good times. I can’t believe you’re gone. A hand touches her shoulder. It’s Julian.
She hugs Julian, and says she thought she told him that she had to do this alone. He says she did. Is she ready to go inside? She says, no. She wants to read some more. There were so many lives he touched. Julian asks if she knows all of them, and she says, some. He reads a thank you from the super for holding a flashlight when the electricity had a glitch. There’s on from Trina, thanking him for helping with her term paper. She would have never passed the class without his help. Yet another thanks Oscar for helping carry the laundry downstairs. They’ll miss his smile every day. Kim says he didn’t tell her about a lot of this. Julian says, he was well loved and respected. Kim says, people will miss his kindness and spirit. Julian says, he’ll stay alive in the memories.
Drew tells Shiloh that he wishes he known Oscar longer; that they’d had more years. Most of all, he wishes they’d had more years to make more memories. Shiloh says he’s spoken to parents at DOD who have lost a child. They say the pain is unimaginable. He wants Drew to know, Oscar had so much grace. Everybody loved him. He always encouraged Oscar to keep up communication with Drew and his mother. Drew appreciates that, but I’m guessing it’s not lost on him – or me – that Shiloh just made it about himself. Shiloh says, even when they were estranged, Oscar wanted to know stories about Drew’s past. Drew says Oscar understood what happened to him, and he’s made peace with not knowing his past. Shiloh says, has he?
Jason tells Sam, Shiloh wants a secret he can weaponize. What better secret than something that can hurt him? Sam says Shiloh is threatened by Jason, and Jason says, give Shiloh something that can send him to prison.
Kristina says she’s had a lot of time to think. Max and Milo reminded her of the good times, and Neil said Alexis and Sonny both take responsibility for what happened during the last meeting. Alexis and Sonny agree that they do. She says, but it wasn’t just them. She gave Alexis a hard time about her phone. Alexis says she should have shut it off. Kristina says she just did it to get her hands on the phone. What they did was wrong, but she’s seeing why they did it.
Michael goes back to Willow’s classroom – which has been filled with everyone, except all those parents she said were coming. He tells her the therapist thinks Kristina is in a place where she’s willing to listen, so it’s on. He’s ready when she is. She tells him that she had to be honest with Chase; she couldn’t lie. He asks if she’s sure she wants do this. It could possibly be considered illegal, and could cost Willow her relationship.
Sonny knows Kristina is angry because of the way they… he handled things. He didn’t give her mother a choice. Alexis says he didn’t consult her, but she chose to participate. Kristina says the only one reason they’re there is because they love her. She gets that. The other night, her mother didn’t know she was watching, but she heard Alexis say she couldn’t see Kristina when she looked in her eyes. She wanted her little girl back. Up until then, all she could think about was how they hurt her. She felt rejected when they questioned DOD, and justified in her anger. Now she realizes they thought she was choosing DOD over her family, and she never wanted to do that. They don’t know what happened between her and DOD, but if her mom can’t recognize her, she doesn’t blame her for feeling scared, or what she did because of it. It’s not her mom’s fault that she doesn’t recognize Kristina. Neil says, it’s not hers either. She says, maybe not, but it’s not Shiloh’s. Sonny grits his teeth.
Diane goes to Kelly’s. Valerie says, she’s been everywhere, and lists several places. Now she’s at Kelly’s. She hopes Alexis is meeting someone. She needs coffee.
Shiloh tells Drew, if there’s some way for him to remember his old life… Drew says he can’t risk retrieving his old memories at the risk of forgetting the past five years, especially the memories of his children. He just lost one, and he’s already told Shiloh this. Why is he telling him again? Shiloh says, sorry. People make irrational decisions when grieving. Drew says, that’s not happening here. Shiloh, who doesn’t know when to shut up, says Oscar’s not really gone, and we grasp that when it’s our time. Drew says he’s not in a place to hear all this, and Shiloh says, sorry. He knows it’s too soon. Drew needs to process his own grief. His door is always open, like it was open to Oscar. Drew says he has phone calls to make. Shiloh can see himself out. Shiloh says, one more thing. He was cleaning out Oscar’s room, and came across this. He holds out a copy of his book. He thought Drew might want to have it.
Julian and Kim sit in the hallway. He says he’s sorry for barging in on her like this, but he couldn’t stand the thought of her going through it alone. He wanted to be there for her, but if she wants him to go, he will. Let him know what she needs. He starts to get up, but she stops him, and says, please stay. She puts her head on his shoulder.
Valerie goes into Kelly’s, but there’s no sign of Alexis/Diane. She goes to the counter, and asks if a woman in a green plaid shirt came in to use the ladies room. Diane walks up, sans wig, and says she did. She needed to freshen her hair. She has a message from her client. They know this so-called investigation isn’t sanctioned by the PCPD. So her watching and following Alexis constitutes harassment. Cease and desist, or she’ll go to Valerie’s superior, and sue the detective badge out of her eager hands. She also suggests the caramel salted donut.
Sam tells Jason that she can’t do that. She doesn’t know anything incriminating about him. She was never involved in anything illegal. She’s not handing anything over to Shiloh. Jason says he’ll have Spinelli set it up. A fake hit on a guy who never existed. She can tell Shiloh that she was an eyewitness, and he’ll find back-up online. Sam asks what if he runs to Margaux? She’s a big believer now. Jason says She’ll be embarrassed when she finds out it never happened. Sam says what if Shiloh thinks she’s a liar? and Jason says, he will. Eventually. If Shiloh tries to turn him in right away, he won’t have leverage over Sam. Sam likes it. She tells Jason, call Spinelli, and set it up.
Shiloh tells Drew, Oscar marked the passages that spoke to him. He thought Drew might like to read it, and get to know his son more. Shiloh says, he and Drew were close once. He knows not close now, but hopes Drew can lean on him like he leaned on Drew. He tells Drew, take care, and leaves. Drew opens the book, and sees a photo of himself, Kim, and Oscar, when Oscar got the Ashbury award.
Julian asks if Kim is ready. She says she’ll never be ready to walk into an empty apartment, knowing she’ll never see her son sitting on the couch, reading a book, or listening to music. How is she going to be ready to live in the stillness and quiet of a home once filled with the beautiful sounds of Oscar? How will she be ready to go into Oscar’s room, and go through his stuff? She’s not ready, and doesn’t know if she ever will be, but she has to start somewhere. She’ll take it one step at a time. Julian unlocks the door, and says they’ll do it together. He opens the door, and takes her hand. She says, okay.
Sam calls Shiloh, and says she just wants to let him know she recorded her Pledge. Just tell her where to meet him, and she’s there.
Kristina says she knows they’re coming from a place of love. She can’t promise to leave DOD. It has to be a choice she makes – if she makes it – for herself; not because she feels guilty for causing them pain. If she chooses to stay, she hopes they accept it. She hopes they’ll be the understanding parents they are now, and can respect her decision.
Michael walks in. Kristina says she thought he was so mad at her, he was refusing to speak to her. He says, what Shiloh did made him mad. That’s why he brought someone to talk to her. Willow steps forward, and Kristina asks why she’s there. Willow says she knows things Kristina might not be aware of. She knows how DOD preaches honesty above all else, but she’s going to tell Kristina the truth about Shiloh, and what he does to young women like them.
On Monday, Finn has Jordan’s test results, Robert suggests Laura go to the Nurses’ Ball with him, and Willow tells Kristina that she escaped and hopes Kristina can too.
🎹 The GH Goodbye Song…
There are a couple of sad photos from the episode too. Twilight Zone moment. I knew a Chris Arena back in my theater days. I looked up this guy’s bio, but it’s not him, or his dad. I wouldn’t have thought it was that common of a name.

He wishes the entire world would see Aiden like he does – funny, smart, and sweet – but they don’t. Kids are mean andbullies. They don’t mean gay as a compliment, so to telling Aiden to be himself is setting him up to get hurt. They’re making him a target. Maybe saying he should be less gay was wrong the way to protect him, but that’s what he was trying to do. Franco says he has his brother’s back. Franco does too, whether Cameron likes him or not. Cameron says he has to go to work. Franco says thanks for hearing him out, but Cameron is already walking away.

He says if he truly thought she was leaving him, he’d have to release her from her Pledge, but since she has a special place in his heart and life, he’ll give her time to reconsider her options. He tells her not to make him wait too long. Even a man with his discipline has limits to his patience.
Ned sees Drew on the stairs. Drew says when Oscar and Kim moved in, this is where they would sit and wait. It’s close enough to Oscar’s room, in case he needed help, but it’s far enough to give him privacy. Oscar won’t need his help ever again. He’ll never need help, but he’s still sitting there because it doesn’t fell right to leave. This was the spot. Ned sits next to him, and says in the short time that he got to know Oscar, he could tell Oscar was a remarkable person. Drew says, he got that from his mom, but Ned says Drew is incredibly brave and loyal, and looks out for the people he loves. Ned doesn’t know Kim, but he knows who she reminds him of. Oscar is very lucky to have him as a father, and they’re all lucky to have known Oscar as long as they did.
Kim tells Oscar, here we are. Just you and me. Just like the day he was born. The first time she held him and felt his warmth, his heartbeat was so strong and fast; he was just perfect. Perfect to her. When she held him, it was like he was saying not only was he was hers but she was his too. When he came into this world, he got bigger, but today, he just got a lot smaller. She’s not going to be any good a this, because she doesn’t know how to do this. She puts her head next to his.

Shiloh says he’s still friends with Willow, and he stopped by to say hello. Shiloh moves on, and Michael goes into Willow’s classroom. He asks if she’s okay, and she says, fine. He asks what Shiloh wanted, and she says, what he always wants – her.

In Oscar’s room, Drew says he can’t stop thinking about the first few times they tried to meet. What a disaster those were. Every time it was his fault, but Oscar didn’t let that stop them. They made sure they got through it. Oscar wanted to know everything about him. He’d wondered about his father his whole life, and when they finally met, neither one of them knew a damn thing about him. He never stopped feeling guilty about not giving Oscar the answers he was looking for. No matter who he is, he’s a better man because he knows Oscar.
Drew tells Oscar that Kilimanjaro isn’t as hard to climb as he might think. There are some places you can climb right up, and it’s not as hard, until you get close to the summit, where it’s steep, and the air gets thin. He would have carried Oscar on his back. They could stand under the stars every night on the way up and on the way down. He came looking for a strong father, and thought Drew was strong enough to climb the entire mountain. He gets next to Oscar on the bed, and says he can’t thank Oscar enough for coming into his life. Oscar has been the beat of his heart. For the rest of his life, he’ll be on top of a mountain. Drew cries.
Monica puts Oscar’s photo on the mantel, next to the picture of Lila and Edward. Jason comes in, and hugs her.
Michael asks Willow to tell him what he can do to help. She says, let her talk to his sister. If it keeps another woman from being taken in by that psychopath, she won’t feel so helpless. He says he came to ask her to talk to Kristina. She tells him, set it up. She’s done being bullied by Shiloh.
Sam opens the door to find Shiloh. He says she doesn’t seem pleased to see him. She says she always is, and asks him in. He says she didn’t answer when he called, and he was concerned. She looks at her phone, and says, there he is. She’s sorry she missed it. She asks if he remembers Oscar. He says, Drew’sboy. He’s a great kid. She says, he passed away, so she’s been a little preoccupied. Shiloh says he’s so sorry. The dead don’t need us to wallow in their absence. Right now, this is about her, and the path she’s going to follow; what she’s going to do, and the journey she’s about to embrace. It’s also time for her to join the Trust. He gives her a recorder.
Jason hugs Josslyn. Drew comes in, and says, apparently, Jason is executor. He asks if Jason knows about the Kilimanjaro Project. Jason does. Oscar was very specific about what he wants and how to do it. Kim asks what it’s about, and Drew says, apparently (WOTD), Oscar donated a portion of his estate to start the Kilimanjaro Foundation to help teens, healthy or otherwise, to mountain climb. Josslyn asks if she can see him. Kim says, of course (🍷 – and a few more just because this is sad 🍷🍷). Carly asks if Josslyn wants her to come, but Josslyn says, no. She’s not scare of seeing him. Just the opposite. Thethought of never seeing him again… She goes upstairs.
Elizabeth tells Cameron, there’s no easy way to say this. She’s so sorry, but Oscar passed away a little while ago. Cameron says they all knew it was going to happen. Franco says, it’s still hard to lose a friend. Cameron says he was more Josslyn’s friend than his. They got along okay, but were never close. Elizabeth tells him, it’s okay to be sad. She can call his supervisor, and say he can’t work. Cameron says he’s okay. He’ll see them at home later. He leaves, and Elizabeth says that’s not how she expected it to go.
Cameron goes out to the stairwell, and leans against the wall. He slides down to the floor, and cries.
Josslyn thanks Oscar for finishing the music. She asks if he remembers saying he was scared of dying because she’d miss him. She doesn’t want him to miss her. She wants him to go somewhere beautiful and wonderful. Looking down from the stars onto Mount Kilimanjaro. Somewhere that doesn’t hurt. She wants him to be okay. She leans on his chest, saying, he’s the only person she can say this to. Everyone else will think she was dreaming. She felt it when he kissed her goodbye on her cheek. She heard him say he loved her before he left. She loves him too. She’ll love him forever.
Chase goes to Willow’s classroom. Apparently (ha-ha), all those parents she said were showing up momentarily, still aren’t there. She says, thank God. She’s so happy see him. Did he see Michael leaving? He just stopped by about his sister. She agreed to tell Kristina about her experience with DOD. Chase says, so Michael knows where she is? Willow says he’s supposed to take her to see Kristina. If she can prevent Kristina from going back to Shiloh, that’s exactly what she’s going to do. I can’t believe she just gave Michael away.
Carly tells Jason that she can’t believe what Josslyn is going through. It’s unfair. Josslyn is just a teenager; she shouldn’t have to feel this. She’s growing up faster than Carly wants her to. She’s an amazing kid. She doesn’t regret one day of loving Oscar; she doesn’t regret any of it. Carly doesn’t want her to hurt like this. Jason takes her hand, and says she’s just got to be there for Josslyn. Carly puts her head on his shoulder.
Shiloh tells Sam that Trust members are required to give him a piece of private information. Information, that if it ever got out, would be detrimental to them or a member of their family. Sam asks if he wants her to give him a secret that might hurt someone she loves.
Chase tells Willow that he understands she wants to help. After she sees Kristina, he wants her to tell him. If she’s being held against her will, Willow could be complicit in a kidnapping. Willow says, the only crime will be if Kristina gets sent back.
Sam asks Shiloh why the Trust requires a gesture like that. Shouldn’t the Trust be based on… trust? He thought she had more faith in him and DOD. She was so close.
Josslyn texts Cameron, Oscar is gone. He texts back, I’m so… Changes it to, he was… and changes that to, are you… But instead of sending anything, he shuts off the phone, throws it, and cries.
Carly tells Josslyn, they’re here to take Oscar. She doesn’t have to be there. Josslyn says, no. She wants to. Carly says, okay, and helps Josslyn up. The song about goodbye plays, as Drew carries Oscar’s body to the gurney and lays him down. Kim covers him, and touches his face. She kisses his forehead, and weeps. Josslyn cries in Carly’s arms. The guys from the coroner’s office wheel Oscar out. We end with a tableau of Ned and Olivia, Josslyn and Carly, Drew and Kim, and Jason and Monica. Everyone is a mess, including me.
Tomorrow, Valerie tells Chase it just got interesting, Alexis has initiated Plan B, and Jason tells Sam to make the Pledge about him. Question. How would Shiloh even know if she wasn’t making something up? Not sure what the big deal is there.
👙 I’m actually starting to enjoy Project Runway. Tonight’s challenge was to create a mini collection for Morena Baccarin – aka Deadpool’s wife – who was going to Rio on vacation. The designers were split into three teams, and were instructed to showcase three cohesive looks that tell a vacation fashion story. Stylist to the stars, Marni Senofonte, was a guest judge, along with Elaine Welteroth, who was sitting in for Karlie. Besides Karlie having another commitment, Nina was running a fever, and wisely stayed home. Beachy and color were a main focus. No surprise, because, Rio. I wondered if Morena had been in the fashion industry, since she used the term pant; as in that pant, and as opposed to those pants, which the average person would say. My husband even made a comment when she said it, kind of making fun, but I was too busy to stop and lecture him on it. I also wondered wth was going on with Marni’s ears. Was that Jesus Christ hanging from them? A random dude with outstretched arms? Or maybe a weird iris? Brandon found Renee’s banana yellow drop crotch genie pants upsetting. I don’t know if I’d go that far, but they were a hard no. I thought Venny’s sun dress was cute, but the judges and Morena thought it was too cute, like something for a teenager. Hester bounced back, and was the big winner, with a reversible bathing suit that laced on the sides and had a matching wrap skirt. Jamall had immunity, which was good for him, since he created a mess, or as Morena said, all kinds of bad. It was supposed to be a bathing suit (I guess), but the net skirt was attached, and went between her legs. One judge suggested that she’d end up drowning, and would be found with fish in the net. it was a tough choice between that, and Renee’s banana pants, but the pants, and Renee, were out. Renee seems like a cool lady, and was very laid back about being eliminated. She was also wearing an amazing plaid jacket that I’d pay a lot for if I had the money. She was going home to get married, and said she wanted to prove it was okay to make a decision later in life to follow your dream. Unlike her class act, once again Tessa was a bummer. When Hester was being given her win, Tessa told the others it was no big deal that Hester’s suit was reversible. And when Hester returned, Tessa said she didn’t love Hester’s look, while everyone else was celebrating her win. She’s like a petulant fourteen-year-old. I’m not liking that one. Next week, the designers have to come up with an Elton john performance piece. The best quote tonight came from Hester – I think for me, if I’m freaking out but not crying, that’s good.
🔫 Speaking of Deadpool, I watched Deadpool 2 last weekend, and I loved it so much, I immediately wanted to see it again. I love me some Josh Brolin, it was a lot of fun with a touch of poignancy, and the soundtrack rocked.
👀 On Watch What Happens Live, a viewer asked if Charlize Theron had turned down the Wonder Woman role. She said no, but her agent had heard buzz about the movie, and said something to her about possibly being in it. She said she wasn’t familiar with Wonder Woman’s character, and asked what she does. The agent said, no. She should consider the role of Wonder Woman’s mother. She knew then, that she had turned a corner.
🌴 Because It’s On Runway Theme…
I’m also tired, and it was the first thing that came to mind. You could do worse.
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)
General Hospital
Olivia puts photos of Oscar with his family in an album
In Oscar’s hospital room, Kim says he’s the same, just sleeping. Drew says Josslyn should sleep too, but she thinks she’ll stay in there. They haven’t finished reading. Kim asks if she wants anything, but she says she’s good. She reads out loud. Kim and Drew listen outside the door.
Elizabeth goes to Terry’s office, and asks if she wants to go for a drink. Terry says she’s not so much working as wishing. She’s hoping there’s something she missed. She keeps trying to make the pieces add up to a different conclusion, but no matter how she puts the pieces together, the story ends up the same way.
Ned finds Monica in the crypt. He asks what she’s doing, and she says, talking to ghosts. He says he won’t worry until she says they’re talking back. She says, they do. Sometimes, they’re the only ones she can trust to say exactly the right thing.
Carly looks at the babies in the hospital nursery. Sonny joins her, and she asks if their kids were ever this small. When they’re this tiny and helpless, you just don’t realize how much they’ll need you when they get older
Julian calls Kim. She says it’s good to hear his voice. He asks how Oscar is, and she says, no change. He’ssleeping now. Julian says he’s there if she needs him. She knows, and he says he loves her.
Cameron works on his laptop at Charlie’s. Trina asks if he’s doing homework, but he says it’s part of detention. Trina says it was a nice move. The guy he hit is a tool and a loser. She asks if she can help, and he asks if she means write it for him. Trina says, that would be a no, but she can help him focus. He says he’s writing about the kind of friends he wants to have, and the kind of friend he wants to be.
Drew sits with Kim on the stairs. He says they always end up there when there’s a perfectly comfortable couch. Kim says, it feels a little too far from Oscar. She saw how restless he was, like he’s fighting this with everything he’s got. Drew says, that’s him. The first time Oscar asked him for anything, it was to teach him to fight for something he believed in. Kim says, it’s agonizing to know it’s a fight he’ll lose.
Josslyn continues reading. She yawns, and falls asleep. The book drops to the floor. Lila watches Oscar. He asks if he knows her. He doesn’t think they’ve met, yet he thinks he knows her.
Carly tells Sonny that she’s trying to take a cue from Josslyn. She wants Josslyn to have as much time with Oscar as she needs, without her hovering. Carly doesn’t know how to help her with what’s coming. Sonny says they won’t forget Oscar like they won’t forget Morgan. Carly has fought to survive, and that’s the best example she can give Josslyn.
Ned asks Monica what the ghosts have to say. She says she’s not literally hearing them – at least not yet. They’re still bickering, and driving each other crazy. Ned says, it must be a noisy corner of… wherever they are. Monica says, they’re all looking out for each other. They all have each other’s backs, and she knows they’re going to look out for one anyone who joins them when the time comes.
Elizabeth doesn’t know how Terry does it. Terry says, not all cases end this way. 80% of the patients survive five years or more. They’re getting there. When a patient sees her after five years, and they’re healthy and happy, it makes it worthwhile. Elizabeth knows Terry makes the passage easier for the ones she can’t save.
Drew tells Kim that he keeps thinking, maybe Oscar’s not fighting a losing battle. Maybe the doctors are wrong. Kim says, it’s called magical thinking. She’s done her share. She knows it’s not rational, but they could use some magic right about now.
Lila moves to Oscar’s bedside, and puts her hand on his heart. Oscar tells Josslyn to wake up. Did she see the woman? Josslyn says, what woman? He looks around, but Lila is gone. He says he doesn’t know, and she asks if he’s okay. He says he doesn’t understand it, but he feels better She says, better? and he smiles and says, like he’s going to be all right. He starts to get up, but Josslyn tells him, wait a second. She calls Kim and Drew to come immediately. They run into Oscar’s room, and Kim asks, what’s goingon? Oscar wants to get out of bed, and Drew goes for the wheelchair, but he says he doesn’t want it. He doesn’t need it. He gets up.
At the hospital, Josslyn asks if this means Oscar is going to be all right. Kim says they’re waiting for the test results. Josslyn wonders how it’s possible. Oscar was too sick to move, and now he got out of bed. Is it a miracle? Monica says there’s something called end-of-life phenomena, but it usually happens when patients are off of all medications and the natural balance returns. Some doctors thinks there’s a psychological and spiritual component. They can’t figure it out, but when it happens, usually the end is very near. Everyone hangs out in the waiting area. Josslyn says, he’s coming, and a nurse brings Oscar to them in a wheelchair. Drew asks if he’s okay, and Oscar says he is. Terry tells them that they put him through a series of tests and scans. She also consulted with her colleagues, and reviewed all the results.
Josslyn wonders what happened, and Drew asks if she didn’t hear; Oscar’s tumor shrunk. Josslyn says they have more time. Oscar asks Terry, how much time? Terry says he’s experienced spontaneous regression. The tumor’s not just smaller; it’s practically non-existent. There’s scar tissue, and a small tumor, but the tests indicate it’s benign. She’s never seen anything like this. That’s why it took so long. They wanted to make sure there was no error, but the results were always the same, Oscar confirms it, since his symptoms receded. Oscar says he feels great – hungry actually. He asks if he can get up, and Terry says, by all means. He gets out of the chair, and Kim hugs him. We all cry. Oscar tells Kim she can let go. He’s not going anywhere. Kim says he’s really not. Drew hugs Oscar next. He thanks Terry, and everyone hugs. Josslyn steps away to call Carly. Kim says, tell her Oscar’s had a miracle. Oscar’s tumor is gone. Drew tells Oscar, today is the first day of the rest of his life. What is he doing? Oscar says he feels like he has something to do. Josslyn comes back, and says she told Carly she had a surprise, but not what it was. She wants to see their faces. They’ll be blown away.
Josslyn and Oscar stand behind Carly and Sonny at the nursery window. Carly says she feels guilty, welcoming their baby into the world, when Kim and Drew are preparing to say goodbye to theirs. Josslyn says, no one is saying goodbye. Oscar is going to be okay. Sonny asks, what happened? Oscar has no idea, but he’s starting to understand why.
Josslyn tells Oscar, it’s not a mystery why he’s there; he’s not ready to go. Sonny says they’re glad he’s sticking around. He thanks them for being there; he put Josslyn through a lot. Josslyn says, it was worth it. Don’t do it to her again. He says, it’s over, and they can move on. Kim says she doesn’t want to let him out of her sight, and hugs him again. A woman points out her son to Kim, and Kim says she’s sorry she had to take a leave of absence, but glad she had a healthy boy. The woman says she doesn’t mean to pry, but is everything all right? Kim says she’ll be coming back now. She had to put things on hold.
Josslyn says she’ll be right back. Drew asks if Oscar is up for a celebration. Kim says he doesn’t have to if he’s tired. Oscar says don’t worry about him, but she says they always will. He tells them, a party sounds great. He and Josslyn meet outside, Oscar thanks Carly and Sonny for being so great to him, even when he didn’t deserve it, Carly says he cares about her daughter. That’s all she needs to know, but the tie and flowers helped. Oscar says when he realized who Sonny was, he was terrified. Sonny knows he came on strong; he was just being protective of Josslyn. Oscar says he made Sonny a promise that he’d never hurt her, but he didn’t keep his promise. He broke her heart. Sonny says, just treat her right. It was wrong of him to want Oscar to make that promise. In life, there’s no such thing as love without heartache. Carly says he’s right. Only when we care so much, can we be hurt so deeply. Oscar says he doesn’t want Josslyn’s heart to break again, but he’s glad they’ll be there for her if it does. Josslyn comes back, and Oscar says he’ll be there for her. He couldn’t say that yesterday. She’s brought the journal, and says they can finish filling the days. They missed a lot of plans. Josslyn says, that’s over now. She’s going to see what they have for today. Oscar says unless chocolate volcano at Charlie’s is written there, she doesn’t have to look it up.
They walk into Charlie’s, and everyone applauds. Julian can’t believe it. Kim can’t either, but Oscar is in remission. The film looks a little different, and I start to wonder if this is a dream. I swear, they’d better not rip my heart out with this. Julian asks Oscar when he’s coming back to work. Cameron says, it’s insane, but a good insane. Trina says, everyone at school will go crazy, and now Josslyn doesn’t have to miss so many classes. She won’t have to go to summer school. Josslyn says, no way was she leaving Oscar’s side. Ned tells everyone, grab a glass. He wants to propose s toast. Oscar says, if it’s all the same to Ned, he’d like to be the one to make a toast.
Oscar says, plenty of times he forgot to show appreciation, or that he cares. Sometimes, it seemed like the complete opposite. He regrets some things he said, and things he didn’t say, But the only thing that matters is how much he loves them. His life is awesome because they’re in it. Here’s to them. Now eat a chocolate volcano. Kim hugs him, and Drew gives him a fist bump. Oscar says they’re awesome, and he loves them. He ask what would have happened if he died. What would have happened to Drew, and his mom, and Josslyn? Drew doesn’t know, and doesn’t want to think about it anymore. Oscar says he’s been thinking about it for the past few days, and he wants to know they’ll be all right. Drew says, none of them would be okay without him, but Oscar says they’d have to move on, move forward, live their best life. Drew says, life moves on, but it’s a new day, and they’re doing fine. Nothing to worry about. Kim calls Oscar over, and he asks Drew to cover for him. He looks outside.
Oscar sees Carly and Sonny, who’s holding a baby. Carly says the baby is happier in Sonny’s arms than with anyone else. The baby inherited his ego. Sonny is a lot of good things, but he’s not modest. Oscar turns back, and sees Olivia put a lei on Monica. Olivia says, the whole island smells like this. You can’t help but relax. She and Ned want to go back, and they’re taking her with them. Kim is showing some people a ring, and Terry says, she had no idea Julian was going to propose? Kim says, he’s not onlyromantic, but good at keeping a secret.
Oscar sees Cameron, Trina, and Josslyn in graduations caps and gowns. Trina says, class of ’21 forever. Cameron says they have the whole summer, and Josslyn says, it’sthe last one before college. Let’s make it count. A guy, also a graduate, ask if she’s ready, and takes her hand. They leave Charlie’s, and I look at my heart on the floor.
Cameron tells Oscar that he just wants say he’s sorry for not visiting as much as he could when Oscar was in the hospital. He was afraid to see Oscar die. He couldn’t face it. Oscar says they all have to face it some time. He says Cameron came though when Oscar needed him most. He’s sorry for using Cameron to push Josslyn away. Cameron says Oscar already apologized, but Oscar says he didn’t thank Cameron enough for being a friend, a good friend, a real friend. The kind that was there when Oscar needed him, and he’ll be there for Josslyn if she needs him. Josslyn joins them, asking, what’s up? Cameron wishes he could tell her. Josslyn asks Oscar what he wants to do tomorrow, and the day after that, and the day after that. Oscar sees Lila and Edward holding hands. He tells Josslyn that he’s sorry, but he needs to go home now.
This is just mean, and I’m actually a little pissed off. An alien came to Port Charles years ago, why couldn’t Oscar have gotten a miracle?
Kim tells Julian about hearing Oscar practicing guitar. It was a beautiful melody, and he said he’d written it himself. Drew tells sonny about climbing a mountain, and getting out of breath at the top. Oscar saw him, and said at least there’s no one else there. Terry tells Elizabeth that getting to know the family has been a privilege. Oscar is special. Monica says Oscar took the family name. Drew says he did too. Trina tells Cameron that she got her license, so she can drive if they want to go on another road trip. Boys inthe front; girls in the back. Josslyn tells Oscar they were supposed to watch the stars tonight, and they go outside.
Josslyn says, it’s too early. It’s too light out; they can’t see the stars. Oscar says it’s later than she thinks. She says he must be tired, and he says he’s done all he can for tonight. She doesn’t understand, and he says he knows why he was given this time. He didn’t want to go. He kept hearing them tell him to hang on and stay, but as long as he waited, everyone else waited in a kind of limbo. No one can move forward. Josslyn says, no one wanted to move forward without him. He says he needs to be the one to let go. Carly and Sonny need to share their joy about the baby. His mom should be helping families bring children into the world. His dad should be climbing mountains, and living his life, and Josslyn should be living hers. His life has been full. He’s had more happiness than some people do in a lifetime. He loves her so much. She says she loves him too. He says it’s someone else’s turn to find out what they’re meant to find. He’s ready to go home. He kisses her.
Lila and Edward walk out of Charlie’s. Oscar looks at them.
We’re back to the beginning. As Josslyn reads, she falls asleep, and the book drops. Oscar opens his eyes, and looks at her.
Sonny asks if Carly is ready to tear herself away from the nursery. She says she is. New life is such amiracle. Terry asks Elizabeth if she can have a raincheck on the drink. Elizabeth says as long as they do it soon. She did everything she could for Oscar. Terry knows, but thanks her for saying it.
Cameron types. Trina asks if he’s finished, and he asks if she wants onion rings. He gets up, and she looks at his laptop. She reads, I have a friend who was willing to push the girl he loves away. Not to keep from getting hurt, but to put someone else’s good ahead of his own. Cameron isn’t sure he’s got it in him, but that’s the kind of friend he wants to be. At the counter, he orders onion rings, but changes it to a chocolate volcano. Julian says, Oscar’s favorite.
Ned tells Monica, enough time with ghosts for one night. He suggests they go back to the house, and she says, good idea. She’s hoping she has a few years left, but when her time comes, it’s going to be one hell of a reunion. She tells them, goodnight. Her darling son, AJ; her love, Alan; Edward, the old grouch, and Lila, sweet Lila. She touches Lila’s plaque, and says, happy birthday.
Olivia looks at the pictures. She says, Lila and Edward, what a beautiful family you’ve made.
Drew and Kim sit on the steps, leaning on each other.
Oscar sees Lila, and closes his eyes.
Kim jerks up. She asks if Drew felt that.
Oscar gets up, leaving his body behind. He kisses Josslyn’s cheek, and touches her hair. He says he loves her, and tells her it’s going to be all right. He stands between Lila and Edward. Josslyn touches her cheek. She looks at Oscar in the bed, and we hear a song about goodbyes.
Tomorrow, Franco asks Cameron to hear him out, Shiloh says he spoke to Willow’s mother, and Drew tells Kim they have to be strong.
Two reasons why I didn’t think this was real early on. The film was different; they used a softer lens, and time moved too fast. It takes two days for people to say hello on a soap. The plot never moves along as quickly as it did here. I’ll say it again, this was mean. Wonderfully written, but heart wrenching, and a surprise. I started tearing up when I was editing.
The Real Housewives of New York City
The best I can say is, I like this bunch better than Beverly Hills right now.
Bethenny gets in the limo, and driver Albi says it starts at 9:30. In her interview, Bethenny tells us that her divorce/custody battle still rages on. It’s really bad. She tells Albi that she has a contract that stipulates she can get fired if she does pretty much anything. Albi says she doesn’t have time to drink water. He sees a paparazzi. Bethenny wants to play a game with them, but Albi says, to get in, she has to go right in front of him. Albi uses an umbrella to shield her from the rain and the pap, one sad, wet dude.
Jill brings her dog Bossy along to play tennis with LuAnn. In her interview, LuAnn says Jill dealt with Bobby’s death, while she was dealing with her brush with the law, and they commiserated. LuAnn tells Jill that she needs some exercise, and they’ll catch up after. LuAnn is going national with her show, and says she’s going to be on huge stages the greats have played on. They both stink at tennis, but get better as they play. Poor Bossy nearly gets beaned by a ball, and Jill wisely puts him under a bench. LuAnn says to him, it’s the equivalent of a flying saucer.
After their game, or whatever that was, they sit on a bench. Jill asks how LuAnn is handling the nightclub situation. Luann says she can handle people drinking, but doesn’t like sloppy. Jill doesn’t drink. She thinks she’s allergic to alcohol; it makes her tired. LuAnn says she’s a different kind of alcoholic. Most people wouldn’t consider her to be one. Therein lies the crux of LuAnn’s problem – she still thinks she’s different. She says she has fun, but doesn’t get too crazy, forgetting that pesky Palm Beach incident. Then she tells Jill, one drink throws her off, negating what she just said before that. A doctor she knows well said she’s not pretty when she drinks; her face changes. She looked at pictures of herself, and saw a face she didn’t like. In LuAnn’s interview, she says issues were magnified when she was drinking. She now has a more positive outlook, and she’s happier. Doing cabaret involves being around liquor, but she takes it one day at a time. Jill says she’s been seeing someone. She feels the energy when she and new guy are together. LuAnn is glad she’s moving on. Jill says she misses Bobby, but a psychic told her he’d said she shouldn’t be alone. So he sent her a nice Jewish boy.
Bethenny gets back in the car, and tells herself to take a deep breath. She says she doesn’t realize how she feels until she gets out. In her interview, she says it’s been a long, drawn out process. She wants to get past this negative situation, but doesn’t know when the end is. She tells Albi that she needs a break. She’s been thinking about selling the company. She calls Brent, the president of BB Endeavors. She tells him there were a lot of things she didn’t count on, like a nasty divorce and custody battle. In Bethenny’s interview, she says she’s been approached by several people interested in buying the SkinnyGirl brand. She’s not looking to exit, but just take the pressure off. She feels like she needs to think, breathe, and get a different engine going, so it’s not falling on her. She tells Brent, it’s too much.
Tinsley and Dale go to lunch. Dale asks if it’s a mimosa Sunday, telling Tinsley, for her, this is a vacation. In her interview, Tinsley says her mother comes to the city to get her hair done. Of course she’d be there for Tinsley’s circus performance. Tinsley is excited, but nervous. Dale says Tinsley’s dad is watching proudly. In Tinsley’s interview, she says, for all excitement, she was really hoping to keep her emotions level and in check. Dale thinks it didn’t register when her dad died. Tinsley has a lot of emotions, and this would be a happy, sharing-with-dad moment. In Dale’s interview, she believes Tinsley is upset because her dad didn’t exhibit alcoholic behavior when she was growing up. (FYI, I changed her words. What she said was, Tinsley’s dad wasn’t an alcoholic, but you don’t just suddenly become one at age 50.) Dale tells us that he suddenly got sick, and Tinsley sees it as a personal betrayal. The rest of them have forgiven him, but Tinsley is still angry. Dale ask how it’s going with Scott. Tinsley says Scott tells her that he’s proud of her, but on one side, he seems supportive, and on the other, he sees a lack of control. He’s afraid the public person will leave him. Dale says, if they’re finished, she should move on. She doesn’t think Tinsley felt secure with him. In her interview, Dale says Tinsley would go to Chicago, and it was never anything major, but some little thing would happen, and they’d be done. She tells Tinsley, a million other guys think she’s fabulous (WOTD). Tinsley says Scott does think she’s fabulous, but a part of him thinks he can’t do it. Dale says the problem with Scott is that he won’t let go, but he won’t take her either. Tinsley says he texted her about how he went back and forth with the ring guy. He was legit looking. Dale says, but he didn’t do it. He didn’t give it to her. Dale thinks it’s time to move on.
Dorinda and Sonja discuss The Hustle, which they’ve just seen. In Dorinda’s interview, she says she and Sonja are getting along great. They’re good with one on one, so when she got advance tickets to the movie, she decided to take Sonja. Afterward, they go to lunch. Dorinda says she loved the main characters’ relationship. You’d think they wouldn’t get along; they’re so different. Sonja says, like their cuckoo group. Dorinda says when Anne Hathaway played the damsel in distress, it reminded her of Tinsley. She finds it weird. Tinsley can’t even call Scott, the guy promising her a ring, and the next day, they’re broken up. Sonja says she seems great; fresh as a daisy, and not a stress line on her forehead. In her interview, Dorinda thinks all the breaking up Tinsley and Scott have done sends a message. And the message is, get out. Sonja says Tinsley holds her cards close to her chest, and Dorinda says it seems like more of an arrangement. Sonja’s not judging, but if it turns into the same thing as the last guy, that’s no good. She wants Tinsley to have integrity and respect in a relationship. Dorinda says Tinsley thinks they don’t have her back, but they do. In Sonja’s interview, she says she doesn’t think being married or having children will make Tinsley happy. She needs to work on herself. If they’re just taking a break or breaking up, it’s better for Tinsley. Dorinda says, Tinsley deserves a happy, healthy, and respectful relationship.
Oddly enough (not really), a commercial for The Hustle follows this scene.
Ramona and Barbara go shopping. In Ramona’s interview, she says she’s not putting it off any longer. She can’t stand how Barbara is dressing. She needs to step up her game. Stylist Taylor greets them. Barbara says she wants to be cool, edgy, and fun. Rock and roll is her vibe, even though she’s the CEO of a company. Ramona gives her some champagne. Barbara models some clothing, and Ramona thinks she looks fantastic. Barbara explains that her mother has no filter, and can make her feel horrible but has the best intentions. She thinks she should learn to appreciate Ramona’s delivery. Ramona admits she needs to soften her mouth. I guess shutting it isn’t an option. In Ramona’s interview, she says her father was like that, and it’s not a good attribute. They discuss the female alternative to bromance, and come up with homance.
LuAnn rehearses at a hotel in midtown. She and Sonja are hosting the biggest Halloween party in NYC, and they’re doing a video to promote ticket sales. The choreographer says they have a few more rehearsals, and suggests LuAnn check out the space.
While they’re hanging out at the bar, Sonja tells Barbara the phot shoot is going to reflect what the party is going to be about. LuAnn tells Sonja the costume guy brought the costumes for the video. They go upstairs, where sexy nurse outfits, and odd medical accessories are laid out. LuAnn says it’s going to be the sickest Halloween party ever. In LuAnn’s interview, she says being on stage keeps her from the temptation of drinking. She’s professional with what she does. In her interview, LuAnn says the nurse’s outfit is different from the one she wore when she was being a real nurse, but not much different from ones she’s put on in the bedroom. Sonja and LuAnn pose, and the photographer takes a bunch of photos.
At BB Endeavors, Bethenny tells her staff that she just had a facial, and her skin is the worst it’s been in ten years. It’s stress. In her interview, she says she’s had multiple offers to buy SkinnyGirl. She’s open to moving around pieces on the board. She asks if the numbers look good. Brent is happy they didn’t sell to the other guy. Bethenny says she’s selling half, and will still have creative control and be the face of the brand. In Bethenny’s interview, she says she made the right moves, but you get protective. Brent says the buyer has confidence that he can do better, but he thinks they’d be hesitant to play against the other offer. Both parties collaborate, but both want her company for themselves. She wants the deal happen fast.
Tinsley gets her makeup done for the kiki before the circus. In her interview, she says, the ringmasterhas arrived. Dale is there already, and the women begin to arrive. Dorinda tells John that she did the trapeze, and he asks if she has proof. Tinsley confirms it, and says she wouldn’t have been able to it if Dorinda hadn’t gone first. In Dorinda’s interview, she says Tinsley seems nervous, but in a good way. It’s a good distraction, and she’s branching out. Sonja asks, what is it about the circus that brings men out? I’m not sure of that answer, nor am I sure that it’s true. Tinsley goes back to change. Dorinda thinks she didn’t realize she was at a standstill. Sonja says Tinsley is light as a feather now. Dorinda says she’s taking control of her life, and back in the driver’s seat.
Tinsley has problems with her microphone staying in place. She says she’s nervous enough, and now she has to hold her mic. She’s freaking out. She guzzles some wine, and practices her two lines. She literally drops the mic on her way to the stage.
Tinsley is introduced, and comes down on the lyra hoop. She introduces herself, and welcomes the crowd to the circus. She says, on with the show, and Dorinda says she did an incredible job. Sonja asks if they have to stay. In her interview, Dorinda says she thought it would be more elaborate. That makes two of us. She says she would have been great at it. Tinsley sits with women, saying she was nervous, but now she can enjoy the show and have 500 glasses of wine. A guy brings them drinks. They watch an acrobat couple, and Dale compares them to Tinsley and Scott. Brilliant move. Tinsley says, clearly not. There’s obviously a bit of a competitive thing with Dale, like Mama Dee with D’Andra. I don’t know if it’s a Southern thing, a rich thing, or a rich Southern thing. Ramona has a date, and leaves. A guy plucks Sonja out of the audience for his act. They pretend to be on a roller coaster, and Sonja does somersaults. In Sonja’s interview, she says she might be out of practice in the bedroom, but that doesn’t mean she can’t perform when it counts. Tinsley says, it’s shocking. Sonja had no idea what they were about to do, and still killed it. She can’t do that. Me neither. In her interview, Dale says, Sonja was made for the circus, and points out that Sonja’s part was longer than Tinsley’s, but she’s proud of Tinsley. Whether this is the longest circus ever, or Tinsley is chugging a lot of wine quickly, I’m not sure, but she downs quite a few glasses. She gooses one of the acrobats that gets too close. In Dorinda’s interview, she says, champagne and tight trapeze outfits are not a good combination. It’s time to go home before something bad happens.
Dale tells Tinsley that she was fabulous, and her dad would be proud. Tinsley feels like Dale thinks she didn’t do a good job. She always feels like she needs Dale’s approval, and doesn’t know why. Dale says Tinsley is forty-three, and Tinsley says she feels like an idiot. Dale says Tinsley has her approval; she was fabulous. Tinsley says she wasn’t that good. She’s emotional right now, and does nothing good enough. Dale says this is about Tinsley’s boyfriend, not her. In her interview, it’s not lost on Tinsley that she’s wearing a big bow, and something she would have loved as a little girl. She couldn’t be more depressed or sadder. She starts crying, and Dale asks why she’s sad. Tinsley says she’s doing things she should be happy about, but she’s not. She’s miserable. She pulls the bow out of her hair, having a Baby Jane moment. Dale thinks she should be finished with the Scott thing, and move on. Tinsley says she worked hard, and wants to share it with someone other than her mother. Dale tells her to stop looking at the negative. She was asked to be in this. In Dale’s interview, she says if Scott had wanted to come, he would have come to watch her, but he didn’t. Move on. Dale tells Tinsley, because of her age, she is feels like she’s wasted her time, but she’s learned something. Tinsley says it meant a lot to her, but it would have been nice if he was here and could share it, but he couldn’t do it. In her interview, Tinsley says if she can feel sad in a big bow, a poufy dress, and glittery tights, that means she’s really sad. She’s not in a good place. Personally, I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. Dale says, people have horrible things happen to them, and that’s not her. Tell God thank you for the situation she’s in. She’ll handle it, and she’s good. Tinsley says she doesn’t feel okay right now. Dale holds her, and says Tinsley will always be her little girl.

He says Trust members are afforded special privileges, and tells her that she needs to temper her inquisitive nature with patience. She says it means so much that she’s worth consideration. She’s not experienced in kidnapping. Neil says Kristina wasn’t on long enough to tell Valerie where she was. Alexis asks what she said, but Neil says it’s privileged information. She asks if he doesn’t think the lines are blurred at this point. It would help to know what she communicated. Neil says they need strategy for their next session, but Alexis isn’t sure there will be one. Now that Valerie knows what’s going on, she thinks their time is about to be up.

He gives Drew a wrapped canvas, and Drew asks if he can open it now. Franco says he can hang it in Oscar’s room while he’s staying there. Drew unwraps a painting of a sunset with a tree in the foreground. He asks if Franco painted it. Franco says it’s kind of a departure. He had some paintings in the basement that Oscar and Cameron saw, and Oscar really liked that one, so he wanted him to have it. Drew thanks him, but Franco says, it’s just a gesture. He wishes could do something that counted. He’s sorry. Drew is too.
Curtis tells Timmy that he can have all of it if he tells Curtis what he needs to know. Was the woman American? Timmy says it didn’t sound like an American accent. Stella says he’s an infectious disease specialist, and he says her body is reacting to an infection in the remaining kidney. She asks what the course of treatment is. He tells Shiloh that Sam offered to go to lunch with him, and help him choose courses. Shiloh tells them to go. He’ll talk to Sam later.
Neil tells Alexis and Sonny that he wants to talk about how they’re going to approach Kristina. The technique is called motivational interviewing. They can’t criticize DOD or the members. Kristina is too wrapped up in it, and if they criticize the group, they criticize her. The goal is to get her to realize for herself that DOD can’t meet her needs. Sonny says the sooner they clear Kristina’s head, the better. There’s a knock at the door, and Alexis answers. It’s Valerie and Chase. Valerie asks if they can come in.
Alexis ask to what she owes this unexpected pleasure. Neil hustles into another room. Valerie tells Alexis they want to talk to her, and Alexis asks if it’s official business. Do they have a warrant? Chase says there’s no need for one; they just have a few questions. Alexis says she’s in the middle of something, but lets them in. Valerie says she didn’t expect to see Sonny, and he says, likewise. Alexis says they were just going over some legal business. Chase asks if Diane is indisposed, and Sonny says he has different lawyers for different business. And I say, man, for this being unofficial, they sure are nosy. She had the call traced, and the phone is registered to Alexis.

Stella tells Jordan that she’ll give her some privacy to get settled. Jordan says, give it to her straight. If can’t beat the infection, what does it mean? Elizabeth gives her something to make her more comfortable. Jordan says, hopefully, the antibiotics will clear up the infection overnight, and no one will need to worry. If that happens, she’ll be an anomaly, since it usually takes at least a week. Curtis calls, but she doesn’t answer.
Timmy says Curtis promised him a hundred dollars, but Curtis says he asked for the name, not a high school in another town. He calls Jordan and leaves a message that he’s got a new lead. It might keep him out of town a while. He’d rather be with her, but hopes it leads to Ryan. I thought the high school was actually a pretty good lead.
Jordan tells Elizabeth, she might not want to be there, but she’s reasonably comfortable. Elizabeth says she couldn’t help notice that Jordan ignored the call from Curtis. Won’t he want to know what’s going on with her? Jordan says Stella probably already told him, but Elizabeth thinks he’d want to hear it from her. It’s our instinct to help the people we love, and the people we love are in the best position to help us.
Curtis starts searching online for the high school. Jordan calls, and he says he turned up something. He asks if it’s okay if he sticks around and follows up. She thinks he should get back, and he asks if everything is okay. She wishes she could say yes, but she has to tell him something.
At the MetroCourt, Lulu says Ryan’s memorial is getting a lot of views. Doc says, if Ryan is one of them, he believes they think he’s dead, and will come out of hiding. Felicia says, then he’ll do something rash, and make a mistake. Mac says, don’t count on the timeframe. He’ll need recovery time. Felicia says, don’t count on Ryan recovering. When he sees Ava is with someone else, he’ll come running. Lulu says they have to reinforce the idea Ava and Doc have bonded. Ava says, let’s do it, and Lulu takes her to where there’s better lighting. Felica tells Doc that Ava’s not the only one with a target on their back. What he’s doing is really brave. She hopes he’ll be ready for when Ryan returns.

Franco says he thinks he’s done there, doing the thing he does best, making everything worse, but Drew asks Franco to stay a while, and keep him company. He doesn’t need one more person who wants to put a positive spin on things. He might snap on them. His son is dying; there’s no positive there. He just found out he had a son, a piece of his past he can’t remember. The worst part is his son has worse, losing every inch of his future.
Valerie asks Alexis if she has any idea how Kristina was calling from her phone. Alexis goes into her purse, and says she knew it. She has Kristina’s phone. Valerie says, she had it without knowing? and Alexis says, it happens a lot. They have the same phone, model, and case. Chase says she didn’t notice? Sonny says Alexis avoids her cell phone. She forgets it or doesn’t charge it. It’s hella frustrating, and if you text her, you’re not getting one back. Valerie suggests Alexis activate the tracking on her phone, but Alexis says she already knows where Kristina is. Is she under investigation? Chase says, not at all. They just wanted to verify her whereabouts. Sonny says they know where she’s at. Alexis says they’re respecting Kristina’s privacy, so unless there’s a compelling reason, they’re not disclosing it. Valerie says they’ll be in touch, and they leave. Alexis asks Sonny what the odd are that they bought any of that. Sonny says, not a chance. Alexis is going to be under surveillance, and can’t go to the session tomorrow.
Lulu says, it’s tough to understand. Ava’s feelings for Ryan were genuine? Ava says, yes. He was there for her when she needed him. He picked her up when she fell off course. She had no idea Ryan was behind what happened to her daughter. She came to rely on him completely. The irony of all of this is, she thought it was Doc who she’d developed a deep powerful connection to. Doc, who accepted her as she as. He saw the good in her. Now she knows it was Ryan imitating his brother. That’s how she came to fall in love with him. She fell in love with a man pretending to be his brother. The real Ryan murdered her daughter. We see someone watching the interview. Lulu says, it must be hard to live with. Ava says, if there’s any silver lining, she’s not alone. There is someone Ryan hurt almost as much;his brother. His brother is remarkable. Now that she’s getting to know the actual Doc, not an impersonation, he’s a remarkable man, and an invaluable source of support. Lulu thanks her.
Mac says, Felicia has a point. If it works, Ryan is coming after Doc. Is he ready? Doc says he has to be. He wants to do whatever he can to capture his brother. Felicia says she wishes… never mind. Doc finishes, turned him in? So does he. He looks at his justifications and excuses, and can’t believe his arrogance and how foolish he was. Three people died because of him. His greatest loss was just as devastating other loss just as devastating. People lost their faith, trust, and belief in him as a friend. Mac says he can’t help anyone by being a martyr himself. Luring Ryan out is one thing, but being a target is something else. Doc says if it helps capture his brother, he’ll do it; no hesitation.
Lulu says, that concludespart one in the series, The Object of Obsession: Surviving the Monster I loved. Ava downs her drink.
Franco tells Drew not to let anyone tell him how to process grief; it’s different for everyone. He grieves every day, but doesn’t talk about it. What’s the point? He has to go through it. Go through the motions, and stay present for the people he loves and who say they care about him. He misses Kiki – until he paints. He’s waiting for the time when he sees everything Kiki accomplished and gave of herself. Someday, Kiki’s life will no longer be overwhelmed by her death. It will happen. Drew laughs, and Franco says they might not be blood, but they’re still brothers. He’ll always be there for Drew. Drew says he’s grateful.
Alexis tells Sonny, it’s not an official investigation, but Sonny says they suspect something is up. She’s in their sights, and can’t go to the safe house. Neil says he can’t stress how important is for them both to be there, especially her. She has the most contentious relationship with Kristina. It’s a critical time. Sonny says they’ll be trailing her with the phone, and they can’t risk it. He has experience distancing himself from cops. Alexis says, it’s not a bragging point. Milo calls, and Sonny has to go. Alexis asks what about Kristina’s therapy, and Sonny says they’ll discuss other options. He leaves, and Neil asks Alexis says, it could mean anything. He could put her in the trunk of a car to take her to the safe house, or take them all to a private island. Neil says, that would be a disaster. She says, the whole thing is. She asks which one of them is right? and Neil says, unfortunately, both of them.
Mark – who I didn’t realize is Milo, since he hasn’t been on the show since the earth cooled – says he’s sorry he pulled Sam away, but he had to make sure Shiloh didn’t catch her. Sam is glad he texted her when he did. She got distracted by something she found. She should have stayed on point. He asks what she found, and she says a picture of her and Shiloh that she didn’t know he was taking. Nothing damaging, but it reminded her that she can’t trust a word he says. Even if he believes she’s all in about joining the Trust, she needs to watch her back.
Shiloh goes into his office, and opens a file drawer.
Doc asks how it went, and Lulu thinks it was convincing. If he’s out there, they got his attention. Ava wishes everyone would stop saying if he’s out there. He’s out there. Now, the public needs to think she and Doc have actually fallen for each other.

Alexis looks out the window. Neil says she has an elaborate tea collection, and she says she can never have enough calming tea. She doesn’t see anyone outside. Not that she would have. Neil says they have to try a different approach. They can’t risk leading the police to Kristina, and they’ll be monitoring Alexis; watching her every move. Alexis said they’ll be watching her car, but that doesn’t mean they’ll be following her.
Milo tells Sonny that he tried to keep Shiloh talking, but he got brushed off. Sam says, thank God that Milo texted her when he did, but It wasn’t a total waste. She knows where Shiloh keeps his secrets. Shiloh told her members of the Trust have more privileges. That means she’ll have to become a member, but she’ll do whatever it takes.
Shiloh looks at the picture of him and blindfolded Sam. He says he knows all of her secrets, and can’t wait to see what she reveals,

Dorit says it’s difficult to believe LVP didn’t do it. LVP says if Dorit believes she gave the story to Radar Online, they don’t have a friendship. Does she want LVP to take a lie detector test? PK wonders why they can’t just say things got effed up, and move. Ken says they can only move on if Dorit understands LVP didn’t lie, and is the best friend she’ll ever have. If she doesn’t, there’s no friendship. PK says Ken is trying to control their thoughts, but Ken says he’s trying to convince them that LVP is the most honest person they’ll ever meet. In LVP’s interview, she wonders why Dorit would want to have lunch with a liar. She wouldn’t want to be friends with a liar. Why would they? Dorit says she can’t believe LVP wants to throw away a friendship that she thinks is stronger and more powerful than this incident. LVP says everyone is bringing the gavel down on her just because they want to believe something. Dorit says LVP can say it happened, but Dorit loves her enough to put it behind her. Ken says she’s still saying she doesn’t believe LVP. Dorit says they can agree to disagree, but Ken says they can’t. PK thinks they’re looking at it too black and white. Ken says he knows PK is trying, but his wife isn’t. If she thinks LVP is lying, they can’t be friends. Dorit says she can only hear that someone doesn’t want to be friends with her for so long. PK believes someone in LVP’s camp leaked the story. LVP swears on her kids’ lives that she didn’t, and doesn’t know who did. PK accepts that, but Ken says his wife doesn’t. PK says he’s a trusting and forgiving person, and he can’t control his wife. Dorit says he’s asking her to dig deep, and not be true to herself. PK says he believes LVP. Dorit says, it’s painful. She cares about the friendship, but believes LVP had something to do with the initial story and the Johns. Ken says he’d like to be friends with PK, but… He and LVP go inside.
PK tells Dorit that she wasn’t helpful. She doesn’t think it’s fair. She doesn’t want a conditional friendship. Inside, LVP tells Ken that she doesn’t care. Dorit comes in, and tells LVP that she respects LVP and loves her. LVP wonders how, since friendships are based on honesty. Why would she want to move forward with someone she thinks lied to her. She gives Dorit cheek kisses, and says she loves her. Dorit wonders how she can say that, and LVP says, actually, she doesn’t. This is the first time she’s lied. In Dorit’s interview, she says it’s clear that LVP is still holding a grudge about Dorit saying she’s needy, and needs attention. We flash back to Dorit saying just that, and that LVP’s parents didn’t fulfill her love and attention needs. She says she apologized seven million times. We flash back to that too, but’s it’s more like three times. She says, it’s payback. Remember last year? There you go. A huge question mark hangs over my head about how she came to this conclusion. LVP tells Ken it would be easier to address Congress than talk to that bloody cow.
Yuk! Kyle cuts Mauricio’s toenails. She says as long as her husband is in the house with her, her job will never be done. A photographer comes to take holiday card photos. In her interview, Kyle explains that when she was growing up, her mother always did photo cards. They weren’t professional, but when she had kids, they became a big thing. And she’s going to keep doing it when they have kids. She asks if this is the most Sophia has slept since she went off to college, and Sophia says, yes; she goes to bed at 6 am. In Kyle’s interview, she says she’d worry if she didn’t think Sophia was a responsible kid. The equipment is set up. Kyle goes to get dressed, and tells Mauricio she needs him in jeans and a white button-down shirt.
Everyone sits on the stairs, and gets ready for the photo. Kyle suddenly realizes someone left the gate open, and they all run outside. Romeo is on the loose, and Kyle drags Storm back to the house. In her interview, Kyle says she always feels that her life is like Whack-A-Mole, and I totally relate. Somehow, the photos get taken.
In Teddi’s interview, she says her M.O. for having a catered dinner where the women are taken care of is – news flash – when they go camping, they’ll have to do it themselves. LisaR can’t believe the RV sitting in the driveway. She’s stressed out about it. In her interview, she says she doesn’t like to be uncomfortable. We flash back to her aversion to Harry’s tent. And that’s not a euphemism for anything. She says she doesn’t like to be trapped with anyone, and feels like she will be. In Kyle’s interview, she says she doesn’t like the awkwardness with her friends. She doesn’t want her anger toward PK to trickle down. She thinks she had every right to be angry.
Kyle says there are three tents with room for two and the RV. She’s assuming LVP isn’t coming. Teddi says she didn’t hear from her about tonight, and asks if anyone has talked to her. Erika says LVP texted her about the celebration of Indian gay rights. We see clips from the party. Ken dances with Giggy. Dorit says she and PK had lunch with LVP and Ken. The essence was that either Dorit believe LVP had nothing to do with the article, or they’re not friends. Everyone gasps, and this is so shocking, why? Denise says LVP needs to apologize, and Kyle asks if she’s a comedienne now. In LisaR’s interview, she says, you need to realize you can’t be perfect, and LVP can’t do that. Kyle asks why Dorit is trying so hard. Erika asks how PK feels, and Dorit says PK is the eternal optimist, and wants to continue trying. Kyle brings up PK’s remark to her, saying one of them should have called her. Dorit says PK didn’t mean anything by it, and he apologized to her. Kyle says it wasn’t really an apology. We flash to PK saying, sorry, it was just a joke. Dorit says PK wants to continue to be friends with Ken and LVP, and she’s the one who got tossed aside. Erika asks how that’s working at home. If it was Tom, she’d be showing up there. Dorit says the friendship isn’t more important than their marriage. Kyle thinks something else is going on. In her interview, Kyle thinks it’s odd that PK is protecting the friendship. Maybe it’s business or London secrets. She can’t put her finger on it. It’s probably nothing except he doesn’t want to lose his friends of thirty years. These women are so ridiculous. Dorit says, it’s a deep friendship, and Kyle says she’s better friends with LVP than PK. Dorit knows Kyle thinks so. Camille says she never heard about Dorit and PK until two years ago. Dorit says the people who have known LVP and Ken for thirty years know them. In Erika’s interview, she says here they are again, with these two arguing about who’s a better friend to LVP. We see a clip of the Dorit-Kyle-LVP triangle. Erika says LVP isn’t home worrying about either of those two. Dorit says their friendship isn’t based on whether Kyle heard of them. Kyle says friends know each other’s friends. Dorit says she doesn’t know all of Kyle’s friends, and Kyle says maybe they’re not that close of friends. Dorit can’t believe where the conversation is going. Kyle is hurting her, and she’s asking her to stop.
Denise says she can’t wait for the effing trip they’re going on. Ha-ha!
Next time, the RV trip – which is probably enough – grocery shopping, Teddi thinks PK is acting out, and Teddi confronts Camille about being two faced.
My two cents. I half-jest when I say LVP can do no wrong, but I totally get what she’s saying. If someone clearly stated they didn’t believe me about something – and this is kind of a big something – but still wanted to be friends, I’d wonder why too. What are they getting out of being friends with someone they think is a liar? It’s weird. I’m also with LVP on that I wouldn’t want to be friends with a liar. That’s actually a deal breaker for me. Obviously, it depends on the lie, but it’s definitely a cause for breaking up. She’s also not saying that someone from her camp didn’t leak it. She just doesn’t know who. Even Radar Online has said she had nothing to do with it. While they’re certainly not credible, the bottom line is, there’s no proof. There’s only a bunch of women speculating, with no real evidence. A guest on Watch What Happens Live tonight, Dorit said it was just a feeling she had. Dorit doesn’t get that LVP would always be thinking that someone who’s supposed to be her friend, believes she’s a liar.
If Loving You Is Wrong
Alex tells Ian to get off of her. He thought it was what she wanted, and she tells him, get out. He says, okay, Jennifer, and she says her name is Alex. He says she really doesn’t remember him? She sent him text messages. She says, it wasn’t her, and he says they met. They’re adults. If he’d known she was married, he wouldn’t have said anything. He was married too. She asks what he’s talking about. He says they met at the Maxine hotel. She told him about the break-up. She was so nervous, she kept looking over her shoulder. He doesn’t know why. She says, that never happened. He must be drunk; get out. He says he wouldn’t have said anything if he knew she’d be upset. He talks her down, and says he’ll take the divorce papers home, and bring them back tomorrow. She says he can call her with any advice; he doesn’t need to come. Well, she could do worse. He’s divorced. she’s about to be. and Marcie isn’t interested. so why not?
Eddie comes over to Lushion’s desk with to-go (empty) coffee cups. (I have this thing about actors not making it look like the cup is full. Where is the direction when it comes to this?!) Lushion says Eddie is a fool if he thinks he’s going to drink it. Eddie says he’s trying to be nice. Lushion says, no. Eddie doesn’t know how to be nice. What’s going on? Eddie says, when he’s being normal, Lushion thinks he’s up to something. Lushion says he’s always trying to raise hell. Eddie says, no secrets. He knows they’re FBI, and he’s DEA. They both want to take down the cartel. Instead of hiding stuff from each other, they should work toward a common goal. They should share information. Lushion likes it, and tells Eddie, gofirst. Eddie starts talking, and Lushion asks what this is about. Eddie asks why Lushion stopped asking him about Andrew. Lushion isn’t a quitter. Lushion asks if Eddie wants to tell him where Andrew is. Eddie says he knows as much as Lushion. He asks if Andrew is in protective custody. Lushion asks if he’s worried about something. He asks again if Eddie knows where Andrew is. Eddie says he has no idea. He came to extend an olive branch, and it’s not happening. He’s still trying to take Eddie out. Lushion says, with everything inside him. Eddie says, enjoy his latte, and Lushion dumps it in the trash. Eddie says, that’s $4.95, you son of a bitch, and leaves. Rick walks in and says he hates that guy. That was weird, Eddie was behaving like we’ve never seen him, and even his voice sounded different. What’s up with that?
Lushion tells Rick, join the club. Rick has something. He gives Lushion a file, and says he talked to Margaret. She gave him that. It’s a file of the women the church tried to hide, who were being stalked by Travis. Lushion says it’s exactly what they need. Will they talk? Rick says, they’re afraid to. Lushion says what they have should be enough. Rick asks if he can tell Kelly, but Lushion says, not yet. Rick says he’ll just tell her that they’ve got something good, and Lushion says, okay. He appreciates rick, and tells him, great work. Rick asks if he’s saying they’re going to get her off. Lushion says, they’re going to try.
Lushion calls Ian, and says he’s got something. Nine women who Travis stalked, and proof the church settled. Ian asks, how did he get it? and Lushion says, he got it. Ian says, does he know it’s legit? and Lushion says, he knows it is. Ian says it’s too close. If they go down that road, Larry already thinks it’s him. He’s still in, but has to think it out. Lushion says he’s trying to trust Ian. Be straight up. Ian says he’s in. Give him some time to figure it out. Lushion wants Kelly out, and Ian says he’ll call when he’s out of court. He asks how long Lushion has known Alex, and Lushion says, a while; why? Ian asks if she’s the type to step out on her husband. Lushion wonders if he’s asking if she’s available, but Ian says he’s just. Lushion asks him to come over with the kid lawyer later, and Ian says he’s on it.
Ian calls Carl, and says he wants to talk about a case. It has to stay very private. He knows Carl met with Kelly; it’s about her. Don’t tell a soul. He’ll text Carl with the address.
Rick beings Kelly some pudding. He says they got it. Several other women at the church, but they’re afraid to talk. Kelly says she could be stuck in there, but Rick says Lushion is talking to a lawyer, and they’re both going to talk to the DA. Kelly asks if there’s a chance they’ll know she’s not lying, and Rick says, yeah. She asks, how long will it take? He doesn’t know, but not long. They’re working on it. She thanks him for the pudding, and he thanks her for not hating him for not believing her. She says he didn’t know, but he says he should have; he’s an officer. Kelly says, she slept with him. She should have known. Rick says, it’s over now, but she says, no, it’s not. She’s in jail. He says they’re getting her out. She loves his confidence, and he says that’s how he feels. He tells her, if she likes pudding, she can always hit him up.
Dr. Raston calls Alex, to make sure she’s on time for the board meeting. In the time it takes for me to think, geez, she doesn’t ned a babysitter, the phone rings again. It’s Brad, who reminds her that he’ll be over today, and she needs to sign the papers. She says she hasn’t had a chance for the lawyer to look them over. He says he gave her 24-hours. Ooh, what a prince. She promises to sign them, and he says, nothing is changing. She has something to tell him first. He doesn’t care, but she says the baby’s not Randal’s. Brad laughs, and asks if she expects him to believe that. She thinks it might be his, and he says she’s out of her mind. There’s no way it’s his baby. Alex says the doctor told her sometimes genes skip a generation. He says there’s no one of that ethnicity in his family, and she asks if he’s sure. He wonders what kind of game she’s playing. She ask him to please double-check, and he says she’s insane. She better be there tonight to sign the papers. He hangs up, and Marcie asks what that was about. He tells her Alex says he’s the father. The DNA test said Randal isn’t the father. Marcie thought the results were switched, and Brad says he just wants the divorce. She’s out of her mind. He just wants to be free. Marcie says they’re almost there.
There’s a knock on Alex’s door. It’s Ian, who asks if he can come in. He promises whatever happened, it won’t happen again. He was drunk, and he’s very sorry. She lets him in. He tells her that Brad is pretty much taking everything. She gets the house, 50% of his income, and joint custody for two of the kids. He can get her more, but she says she only wants what’s fair, and Brad is being fair. Ian says, he’s only providing for two of the kids, and she says, it’s fine. She’ll sign. He says if she changes her mind, let him know, He’s really sorry, and asks her to please forgive him. He leaves, and she sits down.
Natalie gets the mail. Ben is driving by, and says, hi. She says she needed talk to him. He asks, whathappened? and she says, nothing. His wife was saying Randal was looking into their house, and she was on her way to the store and saw him. He was looking with binoculars, and she wanted to let him know. He thanks her, and she says maybe they could close the curtains. He says his wife likes the light, but he’ll talk to Randal. Natalie doesn’t think that will do any good, but Ben says he can be convincing. She says she’s never known anyone who can stop Randal, and Ben says she’s never met him. She says, no, she hasn’t. She offers to get Lushion, but he says he’ll handle it, and thanks her.
Ben asks Tanya how she is, and sees the painting of Randal at the window. Ben says, it’s beautiful, and she says she’s been working on it all day. He asks what it’s about, and she says he’s just looking at the girl across the street. Ben asks if this really happened, and she says, no. He asks why the man is naked, and she says, he just is. She tells him that she made dinner. He looks beyond annoyed, and says he forgot something in the car. He leaves, picking up a spray can of paint on his way out the door.
Ben bangs on Randal’s door. There’s no answer, so he goes around the back, and kicks that door in. He grabs a bat, and goes absolutely apesh*t on the house. Throwing things out of the drawers, ripping up artwork, taking the bat to whatever is on the counters and tables, smashing things, and turning over furniture. There go a couple of glass tables. On the wall, he paints, bitch, next time I burn this down 😊 Smiley included.
At the meeting, Alex says Dr. Raston didn’t switch the tests. It was totally her. She lied to cover up something she did. The judge asks if she’d testify to that in court, and she says, yes. The doctor says, she also signed an affidavit. The judge says he’s heard enough; bring in Randal. Alex freaks, and Dr. Raston says he had to be a part of it. Larry comes in with Randal, and Randal says he’s going to fry this bitch for his pain and suffering. The judge says the board is satisfied that Dr. Raston did nothing inappropriate. He asks who the hell switched it, and Alex says they weren’t switched. Alex asks the doctor to explain it to him. The doctor says there were three remaining samples. No one switched the DNA. Randal asks, whatwent wrong? and she says there’s no way he can be the child’s biological father. Randal laughs, and says that’s why he’s suing the hell out of this place – for lying. Dr. Raston says he’s welcome to take the child to his own lab, and Larry asks to see the results. He looks over the paperwork, and Randal says, it’s his kid. Larry says he never saw a hospital put themselves under this much scrutiny. These tests are legit. He knows the hospital’s reputation. He asks if Alex would like to share., Randal goes cross-eyed, and guesses it’s not his baby. He says, okay, so she was cheating on him. He laughs, and says she’d do this to him. He starts getting manic, and Larry pulls him toward the door. He yell, this is my kid, and laughs some more. Larry pushes him out.
Esperanza calls Larry. She really wants the papers filed. He’s in his car, and says the office can file for her, but he needs to be present when she signs. She asks when Eddie will be served, and he says, today. He wants to make it easy for her. She asks if they can prepare them and shell call when she wants him to be served, but Larry thinks it’s a good time now. There’s a knock at door, and Steven comes in. She tells him that she didn’t want to talk at the station. She’s about to do something that could ruin Eddie. He’ll be mad as hell. She’s going to take full custody, and take his job away. He’s not going to take it well. Steven asks if she’s afraid of him, and she says, no. It’s how he’s going to act and react when he loses his job. Steven says it’s not her problem, but she says his job all Eddie has. Steven says, the guy is horrible, and she asks if she can count on him. He asks if she’s scared of Eddie, and she admits she is, a little. He’s going to flip out. Steven asks if Eddie has hit her, but she says, no. She just wants to know that Steven has her back. She asks if he’ll come with her to the courthouse, and he says, let’s go. She hugs him, and he says she’s shaking. She says, it never gets easier, and he says, that’s going to change.
Ben watches as Randal pulls in. Randal’s phone rings, and he asks what the hell they want. It’s Marcie, who says she heard it’s not his baby. How does it feel? She guesses he can’t make a baby either. Howdoes it feel to lose every hope? He calls her an evil bitch, and she says, he’s the evil one. He’s the devil. Who was that whore sleeping with? He says she thinks it’s funny, and she says, yes. He has to live next door to her. It looks like now, neither one of them have kids. He says he just got started, and she says, her too. He hangs up, and goes inside.
As soon as Randal walks in, he starts yelling. He screams, Alex! although why he assumes it’s her and not Marcie, I have on idea. He paces around saying, are you serious? Stupid bitch! He says, okay. All right, bitch. He laughs, and says, you’re done. he paces some more, and storms out. Ben watches as Randal gets in his car.
Ian gives Larry some papers. Larry says Ian wouldn’t believe the day he’s having. Randal found out Alex’s kid isn’t his. Ian says, they had a kid? Larry says, so he thought. Today Randal found out that’s not the case, and he’s going crazy. Larry asks, what’s going on? and Ian thinks they have a problem. He thinks some officers are on to the settlement with the women in the church. Larry asks if Ian said anything, but Ian says, no. Lushion has been asking him to help Kelly out. Naturally, he said no, and Lushion said they’d found something. Lushion thinks he’s on their side, and he thinks he should play it in the middle. Larry says it’s hard to believe the loyalty is there if he is in the middle. He tells Ian, stay on top of it. Otherwise, it’s his ass. Ian says he’s all over it.
Lushion comes home, and tells Natalie that Ian and the kid lawyer are coming over. She needs to tell him something. Randal has been staring at the woman across the street with binoculars. There’s a knock at the door, and she says she’ll let him handle it. Ian comes in with Carl. Lushion tells Carl that he wants him to rep Kelly. Carl thought he didn’t want that, but Lushion says he changed his mind. Carl asks, whatabout Ian, but Ian says he can’t; there’s a conflict. Carl is going to walk into the DA’s office, lay out the evidence against Travis, and convince them to drop the charges. Carl says the DA is tough, but Ian says he’s tougher. He’ll give Carl all of his notes. Just pay close attention. Lushion tells him, just breathe. Ian says someone gave him a shot; now it’s Carl’s turn. They shake hands, and Carl leaves.
Lushion asks if Ian thinks he’ll be okay. Ian says, he’ll be fine. It’s textbook. The DA is a bulldog, but he’ll be fine. There’s a knock at the door, and this time it’s Brad, his lawyer, and Alex. They need a witness. Natalie tells Lushion that she said she would. Lushion didn’t know this was happening there. Alex signs, Natalie signs, and Brad gives the papers to his lawyer. He tells Alex, now she’s free to screw anyone she wants to. Randal or a random guy on the street. Don’t say that’s his kid again. She says he should take the DNA test, but he says he’s not doing a damn thing. He leaves, and Natalie says she’s sorry. Alex says she’s got to go, and Natalie promises to check on her later. Ian says he’ll see them later, and Lushion says he hopes it works. Ian says, it will be fine.
Alex cries on the way home, Ian runs after her. He asks how many men there were, and she says, excuseme? He asks how many men she slept with. She says, go to hell, and he says he knows it was her. He looked at all the profiles he got with a screen grab. It was her. He shows Alex her profile picture on his phone, and says, Jennifer. Is there any chance the baby could be his?
This was the finale. I think we’re going directly to The Haves and The Have Nots next week.
