What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Jason tells a prison guard that he needs privacy to confer with his client. The guard leaves, and Harmony asks when did she become his client, and when did he become a lawyer? He thinks she knows why he’s there. She says he wants to shake her faith in Shiloh, but he can’t. He asks if Shiloh has come to see her. Has he sent a lawyer? Has she heard from him at all? How much faith can she have left?

Dressed in a waitress uniform, Sam introduces herself to Carol. She says she’s sorry she’s late. Her car battery died and she had to get a jump. Carol says she didn’t know they were hiring a new waitress. Sam says she’s temporary, and just there to help.

Kristina tells Alexis that she wants to talk to Neil with her. She wants to share what she said in her Pledge. Alexis says Kristina will have to discuss with Neil. Kristina goes into his office, and tells him she had a breakthrough. As long as she’s hiding something, she’s giving Shiloh power. She needs to tell her mom, but she needs him to be with them. If she doesn’t say something now, she’s afraid she never will. He invites them both in.

Josslyn asks Cameron, since when did his mom and Franco decide on having a reception? He says they kept putting it off, and he was hoping they’d give up, but they’re having it tomorrow on The Haunted Star. Dev wonders what’s terrible about a party. Music, dancing, and free food. Josslyn tells him, stay out of it. Dev thinks she should go with him. Michael comes in, and asks, go where? Josslyn says, none of his business. He can’t barge in on a conversation and start interrogating people. He says she’s right, and that he hasn’t met Dev. Josslyn introduces him as Sonny’s cousin.

At the MetroCourt, Brick asks what Sonny needs, and Sonny says protection for a friend who he wants to be a member of the family. Brick asks, which family? and Sonny says, the Corbins. He wants his friend to be a cousin on his father’s side. His name is Dev Cerci. Brick says, it sounds Turkish, and Sonny says, it is. Dev pickpocketed him, and then saved his life. Brick likes him already, and Sonny says, he needs citizenship sooner than later. Sonny sees Shiloh sitting with Zahra at the bar, and says, son of a bitch. He tells Brick to give him a minute. Brick says, this should be entertaining.

Sonny approaches Zahra, and says he doesn’t think they’ve met. She introduces herself, and he asks what brings her to the MetroCourt? Shiloh says he’s having dinner with his attorney, and Sonny says whatever Shiloh is paying her, he’ll pay her double to quit.

Neil asks if Alexis has any objections to him seeing Kristina with her. She says, no, and he says he’ll facilitate as best he can. Kristina says when Shiloh asked her for a Pledge, he wanted a secret. Looking back, she knows he wanted something to use as blackmail, so that’s what she gave him. Not something he could use against her, but against her mom.

Michael says whatever Cameron is inviting Josslyn to, he thinks she should go. He leaves, and Josslyn says she hopes Cameron doesn’t do that to Jake or Aiden when they’re older. Cameron asks what she means, and she says, assume he knows more about their lives than they do. Michael has no idea, but he pretty much ordered her to go to Elizabeth and Franco’s wedding reception. Dev says the stress of going might crush a fragile flower like her. She should definitely stay home.

Carol tells Sam that they split tips, but Sam says she just started, and doesn’t need Carol’s money. Carol asks why she’s there then, and Sam says, Shiloh. She mentions Carol’s dog, and Carol says she did everything Shiloh said for her to do. She went to prison and kept her mouth shut. Please don’t hurt her dog. Sam says she’s just there to get Carol’s statement.

Jason tells Harmony that he’s Investigating the murder of her late husband Douglas Miller. She says, he wasn’t murdered; he OD’d. Jason asks when she saw him last, and Harmony says that’s none of his business. He says Douglas called her daughter. Shiloh was there, and encouraged her to take the call, then encouraged her to meet him. They were supposed to meet that night, but Shiloh decided to initiate her instead. She asks if Kelly (aka Willow) told him this. He says she led the ceremony, right? While she was drugging and tattooing her own child, Shiloh was murdering her father.

Kristina tells Neil, Kiefer was abusive. The first time, he put her in the hospital, and she covered for him, blaming someone else. When Kiefer beat her up again, her mom found her in an old house by the lake. She was pretty out of it when they were driving to the hospital, and her mom hit Kiefer with her car. Alexis says, it was an accident. It was dark, the middle of the night. She was emotional, and didn’t see him until it was too late. Kristina says she was unconscious, and didn’t see what happened, but she told Shiloh that she did. She lied, and said she was awake and saw Alexis deliberately run him down. She told Shiloh that Alexis did it on purpose.

Billy walks into the diner. He sees Sam, and says she’s not Carol. Sam says, Carol had to check on Jeremy, and Billy asks if Carol mentioned that Jeremy is a dog. Sam says she did, and Billy asks if she can believe the way Carol fusses over him. He introduces himself, and asks what brings her to Beecher’s Corners?

Harmony says Jason is lying. Him being there is a lie. He’s not a lawyer; he’s a killer, a man of violence. He was tried twice for murder. Jason asks how she knows about him, and she says she’s good at research. He’s the one who contacted her before. Jason tells her that Shiloh came after Sam. She’d conned his father, and he tracked her down. He targeted Kristina as a way to get to Sam, and Harmony helped. It’s pretty twisted. She says he doesn’t know anything about them, and he says, her daughter is a different story. She owes her daughter the truth about how her father died.

Dev says he knows receptions are a fun party – he’s crashed a few – but if it’s so boring and difficult for her, stay home. Josslyn says if it was important to Cameron, he would have said so. Dev says he can’t help her if she won’t help herself. Trina walks in, and asks why Josslyn is yelling. Josslyn says Dev is staying with them for the summer. Thank God it’s halfway over. Dev introduces himself, and says Trina has excellent timing. She asks what he did to make Josslyn mad.

Shiloh says Sonny can’t bribe his attorney. Zahra says she does family law, and asks if Sonny needs representation. Sonny says he has joint custody of his little girl, and her mother is a problem. Zahra says it’s tempting, but she has to pass. She has a full case load. He says she looks like someone who likes to work, and she says she is. He says she needs better clients. If she changes her mind… He gives her his card, and goes back to the table. Brick says, Shiloh doesn’t look very happy, and Sonny says, good.

Jason tells Harmony, Shiloh was born David Henry Archer. He was a military contractor, and met Jason’s twin, Drew, in Iraq. Drew saved Shiloh’s life, but Shiloh came back to no money, so he decided to start DOD. Harmony says, he had a spiritual awakening, and Jason asks how long it’s been since she really believed that? Shiloh wrote a book, and gathered followers. She became his fixer, his right hand, and when he wanted her daughter, Harmony handed her over. She knew it was wrong, but had to keep believing. Like an alcoholic, she was afraid to face herself and what she’d done to the people she loves.

Sam tells Billy that she just wanted peace and quiet, and somewhere safe. He asks if she’s heard of Dawn of Day, and she says, no; why? He says, they’re a community service organization. They’re good people, very welcoming. She might want to look them up. Carol comes back, and he says he was just telling Sam about Shiloh.

Neil asks why Kristina chose to lie about the incident, and she says, it was the kind of secret Shiloh wanted, so she pretended she was a witness. He asks how Alexis feels about that, and she says she understands the pressure. She gets that Kristina was desperate to please Shiloh, and was confused, but given everything her father has done, why choose something about her? Kristina says it seemed like less of a betrayal to lie about something that didn’t happen, than say something that might be true about her dad. A simpler explanation is that she wanted Shiloh to think she was important. She’s an idiot. Alexis saved her, and she lied to get Shiloh’s approval. Alexis says it hurt her, but it doesn’t compare to how proud she is of Kristina. She broke Shiloh’s hold over her, and it took courage. She’s not an idiot. She’s brave and smart. Kristina says, not recently, but Alexis says she was smart enough to get help. Lots of smart people, including herself, don’t. Kristina asks if Alexis forgives her, and Alexis says she’s Kristina’s mother. She’ll always forgive her. Kristina hugs her.

Trina asks, why the drama? and Dev says Cameron invited Josslyn to a wedding reception, which she considers a hideous ordeal. Josslyn tells Trina, she never said that. She didn’t even turn him down before Dev barged in making pronouncements. Dev says he was making an observation, and she says, whatever it was, it’s not needed or wanted. They can figure out for themselves if Cameron needs her to go.

Brick asks what Sonny knows about Shiloh. Sonny says, the cops will be sending him to prison, and accidents happen.

Obviously charmed, Zahra asks if Shiloh thinks Sonny breaks out those dimples for every lawyer. She wants to talk about the case, since she’s billing him for her time. He says he found his son; he’s Wiley Cooper Jones. Zahra says knowing that is one thing, but proving it is another.

Sonny asks if Brick remembers locating his cousin Gladys, like it was years ago and not last week. He’s going to say her son got married overseas, and his wife tragically died giving birth. Can he make that work? Brick asks if Dev can pass as an American, and Sonny says, he has a perfect accent from watching TV and movies. They’ll fill in his back story, and grill him until he can pass. Brick doesn’t think it will be easy, but Sonny says, Ankara is on the other side of the world and Dev has been through a lot. He’s resilient and thinks on his feet. Brick asks if he reminds Sonny of someone, and Sonny says, himself. Kids from the streets are all the same. They do what they can to survive. Brick hears that. He asks what Sonny’s plans are for Dev, and Sonny says he wants to get him an education. Brick says, it sounds like a do-over; giving Dev a chance Sonny didn’t have. Sonny says, maybe. Or maybe he just sees potential. Brick says, surprise, surprise.

Shiloh tells Zahra that his son was in front of him for months. He even held him. Once he has Wiley, Willow will have no choice but to come back to him. She asks if his goal is to reclaim his child or his child’s mother, and he says, all of it. He wants the family he was meant to have.

Michael sees Brick and Sonny, and says, sorry to interrupt, but he has a quick question. He stopped by the house, and Josslyn introduced him to Sonny’s cousin. What’s going on there? Sonny says, it’s simple. He’s paying back a debt.

Cameron tells Dev that his mom loves Franco, and his brothers think Franco is great. He doesn’t want to wreck things, so he has to go. It would be great if Josslyn comes, but he won’t have a nervous breakdown if she doesn’t. Dev is right about one thing. There will be music, dancing, and plenty of food. It might actually be fun.

Jason says Harmony gave Shiloh her daughter, and covered for him when he killed her husband. She says, Kelly had doubts about the initiation. She wanted to meet with her father, but Harmony pressured her, telling her it was an honor. She gave Kelly the tea, and put Shiloh’s tattoo on her, knowing she was sending Kelly to Shiloh’s bed. She thought that’s why Doug killed himself; the pain of what she did to his daughter was too much for him. Jason says she can still do what he wanted. She can still protect their daughter from Shiloh.  She asks what he wants her to do.

Billy tells Sam that Carol is a member of DOD. Carol says, they do outreach for the underserved. Billy adds, they have classes and social events. It’s a good way to meet people. Carol tells him, no charge, but he pays anyway, saying they deserve the tip. Sam hopes to see him at a social event, and he says he’ll find her again. Don’t worry. He leaves, and Sam asks if everything was okay with Jeremy. Carol says he was curled up, snoozing. She’s sorry she didn’t believe Sam when she said wouldn’t hurt him. Sam says she had every right. She’s been lied to by many people. Carol says, not Sam, Michael, or Jason. They told her the truth. Now it’s her turn.

Brick asks Sonny, what if Dev gets picked up, panics, and tells the truth? Sonny says, he won’t. He doesn’t know Dev well, but Dev saved his life.

Zahra tells Shiloh that they have a lot of hurdles to get over before a family reunion. It’s not easy to prove. Shiloh takes out the burp cloth, and says he grabbed it from Brad. They can do a DNA test. She says, it won’t be admissible. At best, they can get a judge to order a second one. He asks why she’s so negative, and she asks if he was paying attention at the hearing. Willow’s attorney will use the laws to fight his every step.

Kristina sees Sonny’s table, and says she hit the jackpot. Sonny says, what’s up, firecracker? She notices Shiloh, and asks what he’s doing there. Sonny says, take it easy, and she says she’ll be right back. Brick says, it looks like Shiloh needs to choose another restaurant.

Kristina asks why Zahra is sitting with this sleazy perv. Shiloh says his son will soon be returned to him, and Kristina says, don’t bet on it.

Josslyn tells Cameron that she’s not ready. She went to the Nurses Ball and sang because Oscar wanted her too, but she was miserable the whole time. She thanks him for the invite, but no. Cameron says, no big deal. Trina says her mom is having a responsible parent moment. She hopes it passes soon, but she has to go. She’s calling an Uber, and offers to drop Cameron off. She tells Dev, nice to meet him, and he says, the pleasure was his. Trina and Cameron leave, and Josslyn asks if Dev was flirting. He says he was being polite, and she says he was being obnoxious. He asks if Michael didn’t say to be kinder and less judgmental. She suggests he work on being less annoying.

Jason says, on August 4th, 2014, Harmony’s daughter told her that she was meeting her father. Did anyone else know? Harmony says, Shiloh. He told her that her daughter’s initiation was that same night, so Harmony pressured her to cancel with her father. Kelly was reluctant, but eventually agreed. Jason asks when the initiation began, and she says, 9 pm. He asks where Shiloh was, and she says he escorted Kelly to the initiation, per tradition, and wished her a joyous transformation. He said he’d be with her afterwards, and left until midnight, also traditional. Then, he’s left alone with the initiate. Jason says, he had a three hour window. Plenty of time to go to Douglas’s hotel room and kill him.

Carol reads her statement as Sam films it. She says that Shiloh said she could save him. The police would believe her, and if she made the sacrifice, he would go free.

Alexis goes back to Neil’s office, and thanks him for the session with Kristina. He’s been both a translator and referee. She doesn’t think they’d be in the place they are now without his help. He says they did the work, and she says she seriously apologizes for intruding on his life. Her friend saw them together, misconstrued their relationship, and checked his background. She knows that doesn’t absolve her. She chose to look and deeply regrets it. He says, so does he.

Michael wants to stop Kristina, but Sonny says, let her speak.

Kristina says Shiloh belongs in prison for attempted rape, among other things. He says, the charges were dropped. She tells him Sam will be thrilled to testify against him, and if he thinks he can blackmail her, think again. She burned her Pledge, and told her mother what was in it. By the way, she lied to impress him. How sad is that? He says what’s sad is the progress she’s lost. She says the karma he teaches about is a bitch, and it’s coming back to him. She walks away, and Zahra says, she’ll make a compelling witness, but Shiloh says nothing matters except getting a DNA test to prove his son is Wiley. Brick wonders where Kristina got her fire from. She says from her dad, and hugs Sonny.

Alexis tells Neil, the truth is, she finds him easy to talk to. She’s able to share things she’s not able to share with other people. He’s glad she found their sessions productive, but a sound patient/therapist relationship only works if there’s trust on both sides, and he doesn’t trust her anymore. She says she realizes she didn’t solely relate to him as a therapist. She thinks of him as a friend. The irony is that she has friends, but needs a good therapist. She’ll miss this. He asks, how’s Tuesday at five? and she says she’ll be there.

Trina asks if Cameron wants to go to Perks or the park. He thought she had to go home, but she says, it was just an excuse to leave and give Josslyn room to change her mind. Cameron doesn’t want Josslyn to change her mind. He doesn’t want her to be miserable. Trina says, Josslyn isn’t afraid of that. She’s afraid of having fun. It will mean she’s moving on. Cameron asks if Josslyn told her that or she’s guessing. She says she pays attention and picks up on things. That’s how she knows he’s dreading the reception. He shouldn’t have to face it alone, so she’ll be his date, but she’s warning him that she’ll expect to dance. He says he’s not good dancer, and she says, tough.

Josslyn sees Dev eating a bowl of ice cream, and says, he just helped himself? He says he made her one too, but she says, that’s not the point. This isn’t his house. He asks if he’s supposed to stay in his room, and she says she didn’t say that. He shouldn’t serve himself. He says he was in the right place at the right time, and did a favor. If he gets deported tomorrow, at least he’ll have had ice cream tonight. She supposes she shouldn’t let it go to waste, and sits across from him.

Sam thinks the video will be enough to get a judge to issue a subpoena for Carol to come to Port Charles and issue an official statement. Carol says, it might sound crazy… and Sam says, of course (🍷) you can bring your dog. Carol says, not everyone in DOD is bad. Most of them are decent people who lost their way, like she did. Shiloh gave them a place to belong. Sam says he’s the one who took advantage of them. He’s at fault, and the tide just turned against him.

Jason tells Harmony the body was discovered, and Shiloh was arrested. What did she do then? She says she told one of the faithful, Carol, that Shiloh needed to see her. She went in alone, and when she came out, she confessed. Jason asks where Carol was that night, and Harmony says, at the initiation with the rest of the Trust. Jason asks if Carol had access to the drug that killed Douglas, but she says, Carol didn’t even know what it was. He asks if anyone else had access, and she says it’s the same drug Shiloh had her put in the tea to calm the initiates and lower their resistance. He asks where they got it. She tells him, a pharmacy. Shiloh has a prescription. Jason asks what name he used, and she says, his real name, David Henry Archer.

On Monday, Ava tells the psychic that she came to talk about Kiki, Brad tells Julian that Shiloh thinks Wiley is his son, and the wedding reception finally happens.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Breaking News – traffic is backed up and there are delays on the road. Because of the July 4th weekend. Thanks. I wouldn’t have guessed.

On her phone in a waiting room, Alexis looks at the death notice for Neil’s daughter. Neil walks Kristina out of his office. Neil says Alexis is early, and she says she was in the neighborhood. A client canceled. She didn’t know it was Kristina’s normal appointment time, but if Kristina is concerned, Alexis didn’t hear anything. Kristina says, it’s fine. Alexis says it’s nice see her anyway; she’s barely seen Kristina lately. Kristina says Julian has been giving her extra shifts, and she’s taking baby steps to rebuild her social life. Alexis hopes Kristina isn’t avoiding her because of the Pledge. That’s not what’s happening, is it?

On the phone with Carly, Sonny says Gladys will be there soon, and they can stop worrying about Dev getting deported. Carly says Dev thinks he’s trying to be helpful, and Sonny asks if he’s still overselling the humble bit. Carly says she can relate. Sonny says he’ll feel more secure soon, and Carly says, let her know how it goes. Josslyn comes in, and asks, how what goes?

Franco and Elizabeth are at Charlie’s, when Laura comes in with Cameron. She thanks him for setting up the tables for 4th of July. If not for him, the people would have no place to eat. He says, it beats picking up garbage. Franco says there’s going be plenty after the 4th. Elizabeth says, speaking of community service, Cameron’s day off was approved. Franco says he can come to the reception, and bring a date if he wants to.

Carly tells Josslyn that Sonny is working on something she may or may not need know about. She asks Josslyn to cut up celery and carrot sticks for Avery. Maybe Dev could help her. Dev says he’s practically an expert. Josslyn takes the vegetables out of the refrigerator, and Dev says she’s still mad at him, isn’t she?

At the hospital, Scotty tells Bobbie that she doesn’t have to do any of this alone. She says, that’s sweet but… He says there was a time when they were more than just friends, not that long ago. He was thinking they can recapture that. He tells her, think about it this way. They’re in an RV, going down the road; potholes, flat tires, and everything that goes with that. All she has to do is just say yes. Will she marry him? She says she’s not dying. She doesn’t want a pity proposal. He says, it’s not like that. He wants to spend the rest of his life with her. She asks, since when? and he says, the hell with it. What does she say? Let’s go get hitched.

Kristina says she’s not avoiding Alexis, although she still feels guilty for what she shared with Shiloh. Alexis says Shiloh manipulated her, and not to feel guilty. It might make Kristina feel better to tell her what she told Shiloh. Kristina says she doesn’t think it’s necessary, and Alexis says, no pressure. Kristina thinks Sam is right. She should put the guilt behind her, and let it go for good. Alexis says, Sam is a smart gal; she agrees. Kristina has to get going, and hugs Alexis.

Bobbie asks if Scotty wants a reference for Shadybrook. He’s clearly lost his mind. He says he hasn’t. Finally, things are starting to make real sense. She tells him, that’s what people say who are on the verge of a nervous breakdown. He says he’s been doing some soul searching. They go way back. She says she goes way back with a lot of her friends. That doesn’t mean she wants to run off to the chapel with them. He says they’ve had so many stops and starts. They’d be fools not to make a real go of it. They’ve been chasing crazy, wild love, but it’s not sustainable. They should invest in something concrete. She says he makes it sound more like a business transaction than a marriage proposal. He asks if she doesn’t want to spend the rest of her life with someone comfortable, like an old, well-worn shoe. She says, no. He did not just compare her to an old shoe.

Cameron says he doesn’t think he’ll be bringing a date to the reception. Franco says, it doesn’t have to be a date date. Maybe a friend. Cameron says, it’s a family party. It’s not like everyone in school is dying to come. Laura thinks she should get Cameron fed, and they go to order. Elizabeth tells Franco that she’s sure Cameron didn’t mean anything by that, but Franco is sure he did.

Cameron suggests they order a bunch of appetizers. Laura says, first, she’d like to know what’s going on with him.

Josslyn tells Dev that he’s not doing it right. He asks how hard carrot sticks can be, and she says, Avery is a connoisseur. She won’t eat them if they’re too big or too small. Dev says she can do it then, pushing the carrots toward her. She says, yes. She’s still mad at him. He says he never would have guessed. She says the more she thinks about what he said, the madder she gets. He says, stop thinking about it then. She says, too late. He says he’s sorry her boyfriend died. Maybe she’s right. Maybe his spirit is reaching out. She says he doesn’t believe that. He says, no, he doesn’t.

Gladys arrives, and Sonny says he appreciates her coming. She says he can show his appreciation by cutting to the chase. She hasn’t seen Mike in ages. His mom used to send Christmas cards, and there were some Corbin get togethers, but those were decades ago. And all of a sudden Mike’s son wants to meet with her. Why? It’s about her son. She says he was killed in the war in 2003; Operation Iraqi Freedom. Sonny is sorry, and she thanks him. She says that was the last time she heard from Sonny’s old man; he sent a lovely note. Sonny says, Mike has Alzheimer’s. His memory is fading quickly. She’s sorry to hear that. She doesn’t want to sound insensitive, but he didn’t come all this way to share his sorrows. Why is he really there, and what does it have to do with her son?

Dev tells Josslyn, that’s the great thing about America; everyone thinks what they want. She can believe she’s getting messages from the afterlife, and he can believe Oscar is gone. Josslyn wonders how this turned into a patriotic explanation, and Dev says he’s pointing out the freedoms she takes for granted. Carly comes back, and tells them, Sonny got hung up. They’re on their own for 4th of July. Since he was going to grill, that means ordering out. Josslyn suggests Angelo’s. They’re organic, and Carly has to eat healthy. Carly asks Dev to do her a favor, and help Max close the boat house. She’ll finish up there. He leaves, and Carly says, it seems a little tense. Josslyn says, he’s annoying. Carly knows Dev was a surprise, and Josslyn says she’d like to know the plan. Dev is there illegally. What are they supposed to do about that?

Franco tells Elizabeth that he can’t figure out where he stands with Cameron. One minute, they have a connection, and the next, it’s like Cameron is allergic to him. It’s exhausting. Elizabeth tells him, welcome to parenting a teenager. She’ll see if she can get Cameron to lighten up; he’s going through a lot right now. Franco says he has to go, and asks her to tell Cameron, see you.

Laura asks Cameron, does he mind if she makes an observation? Cameron says, sure, and she says, this morning, he was pleasant with his mom, but just now, he was short. She’s guessing the X-factor is Franco. Cameron says Franco is his stepdad, but he doesn’t have to be happy about it. Laura says it’s understandable that Cameron would be cautions, given Franco’s history, but he should judge. Cameron says Franco judges him too, and knows nothing about him. Laura says there’s no doubt Franco has made mistakes, but Cameron needs to ask himself what good it is to hang on to resentment. In pulling away from Franco, he’s pulling away from his family. He says he loves his mother and brothers, but Franco is temporary. She says, there it is. She knows why he’s having a hard time accepting Franco as a father figure. He’s had a lot of them come into his life, and they let him down.

Scotty tells Bobbie, that’s not what he meant. It was a compliment. She says, just what every woman wants to hear. He says, let him explain. He’s been chasing the action so long, and suddenly the end of the road is looking closer than the beginning. Bobbie asks if he’s afraid of dying. He says, dying is easy. Comedy is tough. She laughs, and he says they’re on same page. She gets his jokes. When she fainted and he brought her there, he was looking at her, and could picture them spending the rest of their lives together. Close friends, confidants; they’re on the same team. She laughs, and says she does think of him sometimes that way, even when he drives her insane. But he’s forgotten one thing in his impromptu proposal. He says, flowers? and she says, he never said he loved her.

Alexis tells Neil that she’s being transparent. She didn’t know Kristina had moved her session. Maybe she’s been seeing Neil more. Neil just looks at her, and she says she gets it; boundaries. Does that mean they can’t talk about Kristina at all? He says they just can’t talk about what he and Kristina discuss in their sessions. She says she could use his input. Kristina has been distant with her. Neil asks if she thinks it has to do with the Pledge. She says if she knew what Kristina told Shiloh, she would be able to assess the situation. Neil says nothing, and she says he’s not taking the bait? He says, not a chance. Maybe they should examine how she feels about Kristina sharing damaging information. Alexis says she almost doesn’t care what Kristina said. She just doesn’t want issues between them. She thinks about what other parents are going through, and knows she’s lucky. She has no reason to complain. She knows some parents who just lost their son to a brain tumor, and has to coordinate the reading of the will. She had to meet with the dad, and he was in so much pain. No one understands the pain involved in losing a kid, but she knows Neil does.

Kristina goes to the jail. She tells a prisoner that she thought it was time she came to see them. It’s Willow.

Sonny tells Gladys that he was hoping for her help with a project he’s working on. She says she’s stopping him there. She’s heard the stories, and seen the headlines. She did her research, and he’s one of the biggest mobsters in New York state. He says, alleged. She doesn’t want to waste either of their time, and asks what business does he have with her son? Sonny says, it’s not with him, but with her grandson. She says, Brando didn’t have a kid. Sonny takes out an envelope, and puts it on the table, saying, he does now.

Carly tells Josslyn that Sonny is trying to make arrangements for Dev. Josslyn wonders, why go through all that trouble? She gets it. Dev is nice, in an annoying way, but why is Sonny trying to keep him in the country? Carly says, Dev helped Sonny and Dante escape. He’s the reason they came back alive, and Sonny wants to repay the debt. She knows it’s an adjustment. It’s a lot to process, but they’ll figure it out as they go along. She asks Josslyn to make allowances for Dev. He’s in a strange county, alone, trying to keep a step ahead of the authorities. Put herself in his shoes. Josslyn says she can’t, but she’ll try. Carly says they’ll talk more later; she has to go to grandma’s. It will be okay. Josslyn says she’s good.

Scotty tells Bobbie, of course he loves her. That goes without saying. She says, it’s usually something you state when proposing. He says he’ll take it into consideration next time. Doesn’t she love him? She says, sure, as a friend. There have been times when they’ve been more than that, and she thought they’d have a real relationship, but every time they took a stab at it, it was blown apart, disastrously. He says it could be different, but she says not the way she’s looking for. She wants that passionate, epic love that sweeps you off your feet. She deserves more than a comfortable pair of shoes, and so does he. He says she’s right. He doesn’t know what he was thinking. He was out of line. Bobbie says she was having dinner with Carly, but she can reschedule. Does he want to go to Kelly’s? He says, for some rejected proposal dinner? She says she feels like he has a lot on his mind, and she’s there for him. They can talk. He says he’s done enough talking. He’s scooting out, and hanging on to what dignity he has left.

Kristina says Michael told her that Willow was there, and came to see how she’s holding up. Willow says she’s very kind, but Kristina says she at least owes Willow a visit. She owes Willow her life. Willow doesn’t know about that, but Kristina says if Willow hadn’t shared her experience with Shiloh and DOD, she’d probably still be there. Willow is glad she isn’t. DOD is like quicksand. The harder you fight to get away, the deeper you sink. She asks if Michael told Kristina why she’s there. Kristina says, contempt of court, and Willow says Shiloh won’t discover the whereabouts of her son. She can’t let Shiloh find him. Keeping a secret is a different kind of prison; in some ways, worse than a cell. Kristina knows the feeling.

Alexis says she’s just glad her children are healthy. Neil says she told him that he knows the pain of grieving a child. She says he’s a psychiatrist, and she’s sure he’s dealt with grieving parents. He says he’d appreciate an honest answer. She says she knows lost he lost a child. He says he’s ending the session. He can no longer treat her, and tells her, please leave.

Alexis asks, why? He says he made it clear his personal life is off limits. She says she’s sorry she overstepped, and he says she’s repeatedly crossed boundaries. Alexis says it wasn’t her who looked him up; it was her friend. Diane researched him online, and she’s not responsible. She finds their sessions invaluable. He says there’s no point in arguing; leave. She says he’s taking his anger and grief out on her.

Bobbie meets Carly, and tells her about Scotty asking her to marry him. Carly asks if she said no, and Bobbie says, of course (🍷). He basically said they might as well settle for each other, and compared her to a comfortable old shoe. She still believes in finding real lasting love. Carly agrees, but says for someone to find love, they have to be proactive about finding it.

Scotty has a bone to pick with Franco. He says he proposed to Bobbie. By how Scotty looks, Franco is guessing she said no. Scotty says, a hard no. It’s the last time he’s taking Franco’s advice. Franco says, no way he told him to propose to Bobbie, and Scotty asks, what was with the pep talk about the RV? Franco says that was how he was connecting. Scotty asks what’s the matter with him? It got Scotty thinking about the life choices he’s making, none of them good, when saw Bobbie. He thought fate had stepped in and said they belong together.

Cameron doesn’t see that happening with him and Franco. Laura says Cameron has had it rough in the father department. And he’s putting up walls in case it doesn’t work out. Cameron doesn’t know, and thinks Franco’s past is complicated. Laura says he’s absolutely right, but she wants him to put a positive spin on it for his mom. He has good reason not to give Franco the benefit of the doubt, but he’s a part of the family; the only father Aiden remembers. Cameron says he doesn’t say anything bad about Franco in front of Aiden, but Laura says the fact remains that he’s the oldest brother. His brothers look up to him, and like it or not, he leads by example. How he behaves, and the choices he makes, like how he treats Franco, definitely shape what the family is going to be. The reception is a great opportunity for him to put his best foot forward, and show everyone how much he loves his family. Elizabeth approaches, and asks what they ordered. Cameron says he has to do something. He’s thinking of bringing a date to the reception. It might actually be fun. He jets, and Elizabeth is guessing she has Laura to thank for Cameron’s change of heart.

She asks, what kind of people? and he says government officials. They’ll be asking questions about details she needs to confirm. She says, like what? He says her son married a woman in Iraq, brought her back to the United States, and she died giving birth to Gladys’s grandson. want her to tell cover story boy thre illegally pushes env back not thick enough

Alexis says Neil’s daughter’s name was Joanna, right? He says, yes, and she says she doesn’t know the details, and it’s none of her business. She’s very sorry for his loss, but she can see his grief is fresh, and he’s taking it out on her. He says, that’s not what happened, but she asks if it’s that hard to be in the same room with someone who knows what he lost. He says she’s not a professional, and doesn’t know what she’s talking about. He’ll refer her to a colleague so she can continue treatment. She says, that won’t be necessary. Whoever he sends her to will know something about him, and she wouldn’t want to cross anymore boundaries.

Scotty tells Franco that he made fool of himself with his oldest friend. Franco is proud Scotty gave it a shot, but Scotty says he failed horribly. Franco says maybe he’s looking in the wrong direction. Scotty says, not another pep talk, and Franco says, a little. If he’s looking for someone to spend the rest of his life with, he should stop looking backward, and look around now. Scotty says every once in a while he peeks back, and when he does, he sees Bobbie. Franco says, maybe she’s the one for him, but he should ask her for coffee, not the rest of her life.

Carly agrees that Bobbie deserves real love, but she won’t find it unless she puts herself out there, and takes a chance. Bobbie says she makes it sound easy. Carly says, it’s not, but the best things are always hard to get. She might meet someone new, or maybe there’s someone she’s taken for granted, who means more to her than she realizes. The first part is showing up, and taking a chance.

Gladys says Sonny is asking her to lie to the authorities. That’s perjury, and if it all falls apart, not only does the kid get deported, but she’ll do hard time. He has to make it worth her while. He takes out more money, and says she’ll get the same amount every six months. She reaches for the envelope, and he puts his hand on it. He says she did her homework, and knows what happens to people when they double-cross him.

Neil looks at Alexis’s folder. Kristina pops her head in, and says, good; he’s still there. He asks what she’s doing there, and she says she wanted to speak with him together with Alexis. She wants to talk about the Pledge she gave Shiloh.

Back at the hospital, Carly tells Bobbie they have to hurry; the kids are starving. Scotty comes out of the elevator, and she says she’ll order online, and leaves. Scotty apologizes to Bobbie for the proposal; it was silly, out of line, and wrong. Bobbie says, it was, but it’s not like she hasn’t acted on impulse. He doesn’t want jeopardize their friendship, and she says, her neither. He asks if she’s going to the reception. She says she is, and he suggests they go together. She says she’d like that, and he says, they’ll make it a date. Overhearing them, Carly smiles.

Elizabeth says she had the feeling Cameron was making an effort just now, and Laura agrees. Elizabeth thanks her for working her magic. Laura says, no magic. The magic is Cameron. He’s a great kid, which is a credit to Elizabeth. Elizabeth takes Laura’s hand.

Josslyn tells Dev, driving a car is nothing like driving a boat. He thinks it would be easier; less chance of collision. He eats one of the carrot sticks, and she tells him not to take too many. They’re for her mom and Avery. She breaks one in half, and gives half to him. He says he’s stunned by her generosity. Cameron comes by, and she tells him to make a sandwich. Make twelve, just don’t touch the crudités. Cameron says she’s angry, but she says, not at him. He was wondering if she’s not doing anything tomorrow, would she go with him to the reception? Dev smiles, mixing me up, since I thought he might be interested in Josslyn.

Gladys takes the money, and says Sonny’s got himself a deal. Does her grandson have a name? He says she’ll have all the details by the time they come. Hold up her end of the deal, and he’ll take care of the rest.

On Friday, Zahra asks if Shiloh’s goal is to reclaim his , or the child’s mother; Kristina tells Neil that if she doesn’t talk about the Pledge now, she never will; Sonny tells Brick that he needs protection for a friend; and Jason says Harmony owes Willow the truth about how her father died.

Southern Charm

Shep puts a crate together. Cameran arrives. Seeing a pair of black thigh-highs in his living room, she asks why he has hooker boots. He says, she’s not a hooker, just a friend. Cameron doesn’t know what to say anymore. He asks if she’s ready get on the road. She asks if he got potty pads, and points out that what he got is reusable. It’s like a mom using cloth diapers. I’m not sure why she’s against these pads, but then again, she probably figures he’d never wash it. In her interview, she says, puppies are like babies. If Shep treats the new puppy like he does women, the puppy is going to be looking for a new home within five days. Shep says, his last hours of freedom.

Austen meets Chelsea for fishing. He has live bait, but she says she’s never fished with worms in saltwater, which makes total sense, even though I don’t fish. In Chelsea’s interview, she says she was born and raised in the low country near the water. She was taught to spearfish before she could walk. She should have known better than to rely on Austen for bringing gear. She asks how the trip to Nashville was, and he says Craig and Shep wanted to get him out of town, but had a selfish agenda. She asks what happened with Shep calling Madison white trash? He says Madison wishes he’d punched Shep in the mouth. Chelsea says, that’s what her boyfriend would have done. As women, we love our men to stick up for us.

Cameran says Madison told her to tell Shep eff you when she found out they were traveling together. She said he called her a white trash hairdresser. He says he did. He doesn’t hate her, but doesn’t like the way she behaved in the relationship. She says his words were kind of strong, and he says, sometimes he says bad things about people, but not to their face. I guess that makes it okay? In Cameran’s interview, she says when someone feels entitled, they feel like they’re above fixing themselves, but she couldn’t be friends with Shep if she didn’t believe he had a good heart. He’s just troubled. He says he doesn’t want be around rednecks, and she says, one of his best friends is choosing to date her. He says, not anymore; there’s no love lost.

Chelsea tells Austen that he lets Shep get away with sh*t. He was pissed when Shep tried to kiss her. We flash back to that, and Austen says Shep has a silver tongue. Their relationship seems shallow at times, but he’s been a great friend. Chelsea asks, in what way? but Austen doesn’t know, and stumbles over his words. She says, they drink together. There’s so much potential in Austen; more than the friends he’s hanging out with. Has he thought about surrounding himself with people who aren’t a bad influence, and won’t be dragging him to bars? He thinks she’s right. It’s made him realize a lot of things. He misses Madison. Chelsea asks, what’s going on? and he says they aren’t together. She says, to be in a healthy relationship, he can’t be partying non-stop. Madison is waiting for him to step up to the plate. He says he never had someone he wanted to do that for.

Orangeburg, South Carolina. Shep tells Cameran he feels like he’s about to meet someone he likes a lot, and he’s nervous. They go into the house, and oooooooh! Puppies! Tiny French bulldogs everywhere. Cameran asks how many were in the litter, and breeder Samantha says, seven. Cameran thinks there’s nothing cuter, and picks one up. Samantha says, time to meet Craig. He knows his name already. Shep thinks Little Craig is nervous, and Cameran tells him, sit and bond; skin to skin. She puts the puppy inside Shep’s shirt. Samantha says he’s a good eater, and sleeps through the night, referring to the puppy, not Shep. She gives him the vet record, and he tells Little Craig this is the beginning of the rest of his life. Cameran promises he’ll have a wonderful life. Shep puts the dog bed in his lap, and Cameran places Little Craig in it. She says this is so unlike him.

Kathryn and Naomie go to hypnotherapist Stephanie, who tells them that hypnosis is a naturally occurring state. We slip into it seven or eight times a day. It’s the zone that allows you to open up to your deeper self. Naomie is working on being more positive, and Kathryn says that would be great for her. In Naomie’s interview, she says, being with someone who wasn’t a good match, drove her crazy. We flash back to some of her miserable moments with Craig, ending with her telling him that he’s all talk and no action. Stephanie tells them, get comfortable and relax; eyes closed and breathe. She says they feel more comfortable, empowered, and bah-blah-blah about inner strength. They’re more than worth it, and good enough. She tells them their eyes are opening and they’re feeling good. She spritzes rose water on and around them, and says she’ll step out so they can enjoy their hypno-bliss. Kathryn tells Naomie don’t make her do this again. Naomie says she takes private sessions, and she’s learned if she tells herself out loud that it’s okay, and she just needs to relax, it helps. Metul’s parents meditate, and she wants to get on that wavelength. She tells Kathryn about Craig texting her, and says she doesn’t know what’s going on, but she wants to be respectful of Metul, and doesn’t want be talking to Craig. He knows she wants to marry Metul, and he’s not cool with it. Kathryn says he keeps telling them that he and Naomie had was no reason to break up. In her interview, Naomie says Craig isn’t part of her life anymore, and it’s kind of sad that he hasn’t moved on, and should have. Kathryn asks if she can be friends with Craig, but Naomie doesn’t think Craig can be friends with her. Kathryn says, at least they don’t have kids.

Cameran goes baby shopping, and meets her friend Leva. In her interview, Cameran says they had babies around the same time. She had hers first, so she prepared Leva. Women don’t talk about how hard it is because it makes you look weak. I guess that’s a Southern thing? Leva asks if she’s going for number two, but Cameran says, not unless a miracle of God happens. Leva reminds her that she said that the first time. Cameran thinks she’s more of a little kid person, and Leva says it’s too bad they can’t get them halfway grown. In Cameran’s interview, she says motherhood doesn’t come naturally to her, and she gets frustrated. She’s not a bad mom, just an every-little-thing-irritates-her mom. She doesn’t think she can handle more than one mentally and emotionally, and tells Leva she’s one and done. Leva says she wants another, but she’ll be forty next year. In her interview, Cameran says if she’d had a kid at twenty-five, it would have been a mess. She tells Leva that she’s going to be thirty-five on Saturday. Leva wants to get a present for Palmer, but Cameran nixes that. In Cameran’s interview, she says she’s had control issues her entire life. She doesn’t embrace the chaos. She tells Leva, no toys. The kid won’t rule the roost in her house. Leva says she’s a buzzkill.

Shep lets Little Craig run around. In his interview, Shep says it’s been a shock to his system. We see clips of Little Craig chewing on furniture, shoes, and Shep. Shep says Little Craig has a childlike wonderment, that occasionally frustrates the hell out of him. He puts Little Craig in the backyard. Shep thinks they’re doing well, and hopefully, he’ll make Craig into the coolest dog. Little Craig bites Shep’s finger. Shep tells him it’s time for his close-up.

Shep brings Little Craig to a photo studio for a shoot. He tells the photographer that he doesn’t want it sentimental. They take pictures, and in addition to standard snaps, Shep holds Little Craig up like Simba, and like a football. Craig joins him, and Shep drags him into the pictures. Craig says it’s like a wedding picture, and Shep says, my two dads. In his interview, Craig thinks Little Craig is awesome, and a fine namesake. He wonders which one of them is the namesake, and ponders that a while. They wait while the photos are being developed. Craig says Cameran is going an oyster roast in her backyard for her birthday, and he’s bummed. She’s been telling them she wants to get her mojo back. Shep says she was always lame (his word for responsible) even before she became a mom. Craig says they have to take the initiative. Shep suggests a big, fun trip. He’s miffed that when he was picking up Little Craig, Cameron told him about Madison saying he’d called her a white trash hairdresser. She and Austen are the worst match. Austen doesn’t deserve them as friends.

Kathryn visits Danni, whose having a problem getting her texts from her tablet. She left her phone at Gentry’s house. They talk about Cameran’s party. Danni asks if she thinks Eliza will be there, and Kathryn says, who? Danni says she and Naomie road horses with her, and Eliza is bothered that Kathryn won’t give her the time of day. She doesn’t know why. Kathryn says, you can’t force friendship. Everyone isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, and that’s okay. In Kathryn’s interview, she says she and Eliza have never been friends. It just feels like a lost cause. She’s just going to let her talk and talk and talk, and then be done.

In Cameran’s interview, she says she can remember thinking someone who was thirty-five was old. Now she’s that someone. She doesn’t feel as hip as she used to be. She’s a homebody now, and thinks she used to be more fun. She can’t hang like she used to. Her party is being set up. She gets a drink, and Jennings the oyster guy comes with the goods. In her interview, she says she’s typically in bed at 8:30, so a late party isn’t for her. A daytime oyster roast is more her speed. She takes a shot.

Chelsea brings a cake that says, Halfway to 70, and gives Cameran a giftbag. Cameran says Palmer is with her mom, and Jason is on call. She opens Chelsea’s gift of fabulous gigantic earrings. Cameran thanks her, saying she needs to be more stylish. Eliza and Don show up next. Cameran asks if they’re bf/gf now. Eliza thinks so, and Cameran asks their age difference, which we find out is fourteen years. Naomie examines the seafood on her way in. Metul couldn’t make it, and Cameran says she has a crush on Metul. She gets her third drink, and they start on the oysters. Shep and Little Craig, who’s wearing a little jean jacket, arrive. Shep says someone gave him the jacket for Little Craig, and he thought it was apropos for an oyster roast. He says he’s proud of Cameran. She went out on limb, and left the house and everything. Cameran says, Big Craig is rare form; he wants to kick Austen’s ass. Shep says Austen is dead to Craig.

Austen comes with beer. Cameran grabs a can (drink #4). The last time she had a proper buzz was a long time ago. We flash back to that. Austen meets Little Craig, and says he likes this Craig better than the other Craig. Craig comes with a bunch of other people. Little Craig and Elvis play together, and are the cutest things on earth. Shep eats a giant oyster, which isn’t so cute. Craig brought bourbon, and asks Cameran to take a shot with him (drink #6, so I missed one somewhere). Craig snarks about Austen calling it an early night because Chelsea told him to go home. Naomie wonders what a world we live in that Austen gets a gold star for going home at a decent hour. Austen asks why Craig is mad; what did he do? Craig says he’s a loser. Austen invited him out, and when he got there, Austen left because his ex told him to. Austen says that’s not what happened. Craig says he claimed Chelsea told him to be home by eleven, and left Craig with people he didn’t know. Austen says, it was a bar, and Craig says Austen is losing his goddam mind.

Chelsea asks Craig what’s wrong with his friend bettering himself, and Craig tells her that she sucks. She’s not his mom; why is she still in his life? Chelsea asks why he’s so angry, and he says they’re nuts.  Cameran, Danni, and Kathryn sit on the porch. Kathryn says they’re about to kill each other. Craig says they’re awful, and they effing suck. Chelsea says he’s foaming at the mouth, and Craig stomps off. Austen says, good for her. In Naomie’s interview, she says it’s nothing she hasn’t seen before. She’s glad it’s not her problem. Craig tells Shep he’s just realized they’re friends with losers he doesn’t want to have anything to do with. Austen invited him out, and he left Craig with his guests. Shep says he didn’t know Craig was a social warrior. Naomie says it’s a reminder that what Craig is doing is effed up. He doesn’t like being shown what he’s doing is bad. Shep tells Craig that he tried to kiss Austen’s girlfriend, and they’re still friends. Naomie says it’s hard to say no, especially when they scream at you, and say you’re dead to them. For going bed early. Shep tells Craig, calm down. Craig says, it’s a mirror image of America. Deflecting, and not talking about the issue.

Shep wants burgers. Cameran insists she’s not drunk. Shep says she is, and it makes him happy. He supports it. Cameran falls on the ground, and takes Chelsea down. In Chelsea’s interview, she says she’s never seen Cameran this drunk, and she loves every second. Cameran says she’s not wasted, and then twerks on the steps. Shep says it’s been a lot of fun so far. Cameran says she isn’t in her in right state of mind. Shep says, but she looks fantastic, which is what’s important. She says she feels like a loser. Shep wants her to branch out; get out of town. They were talking about Colorado. Cameran says she’s married with a baby, but he says, just two nights. Jason will take care of Palmer, and Shep is sure he’s the best dad ever. She says she’s down for it, and yells she’s going to Colorado. In Austen’s interview, he thinks they could have told her they were going to Disneyworld, and she would have been like, yes!  Chelsea can’t find the cake cutter, so she forks the cake directly.

Kathryn joins Shep on the porch. He says he hasn’t seen her in a while. He just invited Cameran to Colorado and hopes she’ll consider coming. She says she’d love to get out of town. She asks about new Little Craig, but Shep says Eliza took him and doesn’t want to let him go. Kathryn says she hasn’t seen Eliza since Patricia’s dinner. Cameran sits with Naomie and Danni. Naomie doesn’t want to go on the trip. Why would she go on a trip with her ex-boyfriend? Danni says they’re all friends. Naomie says she loves everyone else, but doesn’t want to be with Craig. Cameran asks if it’s Metul, but Naomie says he’s secure and not threatened by Craig. Cameran asks, what if Craig was out of the equation? and Naomie says, then it would be no problem; it’s him. Everyone starts to leave. Craig drinks directly out of the bourbon bottle.

Kathryn asks if Cameran picked Colorado, and Cameran says Craig and Austen tried to go last year. Craig says Austen is a p*ssy, who answers to his ex. Austen says the relationship isn’t as effed up as Craig’s and Naomie’s. Craig says anyone who has a curfew given to them by their ex won’t be friends with him. Austen tells him to get some sleep. Danni asks why Craig is being like this. Is he aware Naomie won’t go on the trip because he is. Cameran says it’s inappropriate, and might upset Metul. Craig says they can’t be around each other because they never had closure. It’s easier for Naomie to act like it never happened, and him going on the trip will make it harder. Cameran tells him to say it; he still loves her. Craig says he loves her and he hates her at the same time. Cameran says, just say it. Kathryn says, admit it. Craig says he thought they would get married. Of course he loves her. In his interview, Craig says it terrifies Naomie to think that she cost herself one of the best things that ever happened to her for no reason. Kathryn thinks the reason Naomie isn’t comfortable around Craig, is that you can tell he has feelings for her, and it makes her afraid to be around him. She doesn’t know what will happen; if he’ll blow up or get upset. Danni says Naomie doesn’t want be an element of that. Craig says, now Naomie looks at their relationship, and realizes she was never as happy as she was with him, and it reminds her of that good time. Cameran thinks Naomie is very happy in her current relationship. They all agree, and Craig says, the guy who can go to every wedding. Oh wait, he can’t because he can’t get off work. I love how he totally misses that he’s saying Metul actually has a job, which is one of the things Naomie wanted Craig to have. Cameran says Naomie is looking at the rest of her life. Craig says why doesn’t Cameran tell the truth for one day in her life? and storms off. The girls just look at each other.

Next time, Austen takes a barre class with a couple of the girls, Cameron tries to convince Naomie to go to Colorado, Eliza wants an apology, and #HiAshley returns.

Jordan can’t remember the last time she lingered over breakfast. If things were normal, she’d be at the station. Stella says she should take advantage of the time off, but Jordan wishes she was back at work. Finn stops by, and says in his humble medical opinion, she has everything she needs right there.

Carly tells Sonny she’s been doing research. She’s learning everything she can about spina bifida. A C-section is performed to prevent infection or nerve damage. Sonny says she doesn’t have to do this right now. She says, the more they know, the better they’ll be prepared. She wonders if their baby is born with a defect, can they handle it? He says it would have to be a reality first, but he knows they can handle it. They have the money, the resources, and the support system. They can do this. She says she hears him, and she’s’ grateful, but the reality is that it’s not a month or a week; it’s a lifetime. She’s not sure if she’s strong enough to face it and give the baby what it needs.

Chase thinks it’s good that Jordan is back in circulation, and Curtis says, don’t think she’s returning to work yet. Chase says the new guy has a lot to learn, but he’s bringing Mac along. Jordan says he has plenty of experience, and Curtis says Mac is doing a good job. Now he needs to get to his new job at Aurora. He tells Jordan to make sure she gets some rest, and stay clear of the PCPD. He’s looking good in a suit, and she tells him, make sure his co-workers know he’s married. Stella says she’s proud he’s stepping up, and he says she raised him that way. Finn and Chase leave, and Jordan says she’s glad they figured out how to be brothers. Stella says, they’re good people. Jordan says Chase is her best detective, and she owes her life to Finn. Stella says it won’t be long before they have their own doctor in the family. TJ is like, um… and she asks, what’s wrong? He says he’s been doing some thinking, and he’s not going back to med school this fall.

Finn and Chase sit at a booth. Finn says it sounded urgent, and Chase looks stressed. Chase wants Finn to talk him down before he breaks his girlfriend out of lock-up.

Ava asks Scotty, what’s wrong? and Scotty says he’s feeling lost after Gail’s passing. The scavenger hunt was supposed to make them feel her presence, but for him, it did the opposite. He should have visited her more, but knowing there if needed her… Ava asks if they can find a better time to talk, and he says, she, of all people, should understand. She says she does. He’s suffered a terrible loss, and doesn’t find life satisfying. He’s in the throes of a midlife crisis. It’s normal and predictable. She knows exactly what he needs. Scotty says he’s been waiting… She says he needs to do something for himself; something totally self-indulgent – a red Ferrari. He spends his time worrying about others, and no time having fun. Scotty says, that’s really not… and she says they’ll talk tomorrow, or the next day, and jets.

Franco tells Elizabeth, that came out wrong. He’s always happy see her, but inspiration is fleeting. Elizabeth says he’s really wired, and asks what he’s working on. He doesn’t want to show her, and asks if she let everyone know about the venue change. She assures him that she sent out the information. They’ll replace a horrible memory with a lovely memory, and be glad that their family and friends are there. He says he needs to spend time with his hot, sexy nurse, but she says the honeymoon will be over before the reception is even started. He kisses her. She leaves, and he makes a call, asking how soon someone can get there.

Ava goes to Jax’s office. He asks what outrageous demands is she there for? A personal masseuse from Sweden? While she thinks that’s a fine idea, she’s there to discuss the cover story. He says, it’s pretty straightforward. They pick the questions, and she answers them. She says, the interview is off. He says she signed a contract. She can’t back out. She says she has no intention of backing out. What’s good for Aurora is good for her. She wants to reschedule, since she has a pressing engagement that she can’t put off. He says the only pressing engagement is to get Crimson on the street. An alarm goes off, and Curtis walks in. He thought Jax was away. He’s testing a new security system. Don’t mind him. He’s testing the sensors, and then doing an investigation. Ava tells Jax that she intends to fulfill her obligation, but not today. Something unexpected came up. He says she can’t walk out at the last minute. The alarm goes off again.

Jordan says she thought TJ loved school; he’s at the top of his class. He says he’ll finish eventually, and Stella tells him, define eventually. He says he was talking to a headhunter. There are a lot of jobs in the medical field out there, and he intends toed pay own way. Jordan asks if he’s giving up school so she can pay her medical bills. She has two words – not happening.

Finn says Chase is planning a jailbreak? What did the schoolmarm do now? Not pay a parking ticket? Chase says she refused to disclose her child’s whereabouts, and was jailed for contempt. Finn says he’s sorry. Chase didn’t tell him that Willow had a child. Chase says, it’s not his story to tell. Now it’s a matter of public record. Willow had a son who she gave up at birth. Finn takes it the father is the abusive ex, and Chase says, he wants custody. Finn supposes he has rights, but Chase says, he shouldn’t be in the same room. He believes in the system, but in this case, the system failed.

Scotty goes to the art therapy room, and Franco says he was looking for him. He has a surprise for Elizabeth. He shows Scotty the painting, and Scotty is sure she’ll like it. Franco says, it’s kind of a mess; love will do that to you. Scotty says he wouldn’t know. Franco wants to make sure Scotty is at his wedding, and tells him to feel free to bring a plus one. Scotty says, that would be difficult. He’s minus one and counting.

Elizabeth asks Bobbie if she knows about the change of venue for the wedding. She’s counting on Bobbie and Epiphany being there. Bobbie says she’ll do her best, and Epiphany says it will do her good. Elizabeth asks if there’s something wrong with a patient. Bobbie says, yes and no. The patient is her. She tested positive for type two diabetes.

Carly apologizes, telling Sonny that she’s just trying to be realistic. If the condition is severe, it will be so much more to perform basic tasks. Sonny says she’s going to the worst case. The doctor said not to jump to conclusions. Carly asks what they do until then, and he says, don’t look on the internet. It’s full of frightening possibilities, and their situation is probably not any of them.

TJ says, medical school can wait. He’s not giving up. There are lots of openings, and when he has enough money… Jordan says, absolutely not, and Stella says there are many gifted people out there to fill those jobs, but they’re in desperate need for doctors who have the calling he does. Jordan says she’ll be returning to work soon, Curtis has the new job, and the medical bills will get paid. Stella says, there’s no quitting this thing. Starting now, Dr. Ashford.

Chase tells Finn, it kills him to see Willow behind bars when that SOB is running around free. Finn says Anna would have more insight, but she’s searching for Alex. She’s a fugitive, and Anna wants to be the one to bring her in. Chase gets it. It’s a sibling thing. Finn says the last time she went on a solo mission, she didn’t come back.

Franco asks Scotty what the problem is, and Scotty says he wants companionship. It’s easy to go to a bar and make conversation, have dinner. His trips to Vegas were all smoke and mirrors; they mean nothing. He wants what Franco has; Elizabeth and the kids. Franco asks if he wants Cameron now, and Scotty says, forget kids. What he wants is a girl who can knock back a couple of martinis. Someone who knows who Dirty Harry is; who Deborah Harry is. Someone who can quote a line from Jaws. Is that too much to ask? Franco doesn’t know why Scotty is talking to him. It sounds like he should talk to Ava.

Ava tells Jax the meeting is vital. What difference does it make if they reschedule? He says she runs a gallery. She must realize the preparation involved. He arranged for Sydney Val Jean, the New York editor of Crimson, to conduct the interview. She asks what kind of interview he’s going to get if she’s forced to be there. He asks Curtis, how much longer? and Curtis says, forty minutes to an hour. He wants to give his personal attention to Jax’s office. Ava says she left something in the restaurant, and has to go. Jax says he’ll ride with her. Curtis closes the door behind them, and begins looking around.

Carly knows Sonny is right. All those times they applauded the kids in the Special Olympics and their parents; this time it’s them, their kid, their family. She knows they’ve faced health issues with the kids before, and knows they can face this. Carly puts her head in her hands, and Sonny says they can. They just have to be honest about what they’re getting themselves into. There might be nights and days they can’t give their child 100% of what they need. Carly thinks he’s forgetting something else. How much they need this child, and how much this special child is going to give them.

Scotty tells Franco, there was a time he thought he and Ava had something, but it didn’t work out. They’re still friends. She thinks he should get a Ferrari. Franco says, classic red, and Scotty says he’s not having a cliché midlife crises. If he was going to do that, he’d be dating go-go girls. He wants to feel needed, like when Bobbie fainted. She collapsed, and he got her to the hospital. It felt good, like he was there for her. Franco says it sounds like Scotty needs to get out of the fast lane, and find someone to share an RV, who knows the words to the songs he knows, and is comfortable on the back sideroads he likes to take. Scotty says maybe he should date the voice of his GPS. Franco tells him, stay open to possibility. Life is full of surprises.

Elizabeth says good thing Bobbie saw Lucas. Bobbie says he wouldn’t let her convince him it was no big deal. Epiphany says, they’re nurses, and it’s easy to be dismissive of the tell-tale signs in themselves. Bobbie says, looking back, she was in denial, but not anymore. She doesn’t want to put her heart at risk or have another episode like yesterday. She saw Lucas and Brad with her grandson, and it’s all the reminder she needed to make her want to stick around for her family. Elizabeth says, and for them. She’s irreplaceable.

Stella says she promised Curtis she would get Jordan home to rest. She tells TJ to call the headhunter back. He’s staying in med school. Jordan tells TJ, neither one of them has a choice. Stella says, accept your fate. She looks at her phone, and says she’s got a message from the genealogy website. TJ asks if she’s checking her ancestry, and she says it occurred to her that she wanted to know her relatives.

Finn tells Chase that he and Anna talk every day. He’ll never trust a digital message again. Chase says after Finn got the bogus texts, he went off to find her. Finn says he was forced to wake up Cassandra. He never wants to go through that again, and Cassandra is still out there. Chase says he and Robert teamed up to rescue them, but Finn says, by that point, they rescued themselves, but he’s not going to argue.

Curtis talks to himself, saying, Jax keeps information on business allies. He looks through some folders. He pulls one out, and says, interesting read. The label says, Valentin Cassadine. He sees a folder for Cassandra Pierce, and says, what have we here?

Ava tells Jax that she promises to make it up to him for the inconvenience. He’ll get the interview of a lifetime, and so will his readers. She’ll tell them everything they want to know. He says she’ll have to reach for a better excuse for breaching the contract. She says, if he must know, she’s meeting her late daughter, with the help of a psychic. They’re completely legit. She got the idea from his daughter. Jax says, Josslyn? Ava says, Josslyn had a séance, and reached out to Oscar. She was convinced he reached back. People do make contact. He asks if there’s no other time, and she says she’s committed to the Crimson deal; it’s not off. He tells her, don’t be so sure, and she asks which he would rather have, a lawsuit or a cover interview? He says, she has him there. He’ll let her reschedule once, but if she tries it again, she’ll see him in court.

Elizabeth asks Franco if she’s interrupting again, and he kisses her. She says, whatever he’s working on, don’t stop. Franco asks if she ever stops and thinks how lucky they are. Some people live their whole lives without what they have; the feelings, and really seeing each other and not being scared. Elizabeth says she was thinking the same thing about Bobbie. She’s going through a tough time, and is going to need all their love and support.

Bobbie sees Scotty riding a scooter in the hospital (see link below for the explanation). She thanks him again for his help, and he says, that’s what friends are for. She says she’s going to need all the friends she can get. He says he kind of overheard Lucas talking to her. It’s not just about missing a meal, is it? Bobbie explains that she has type two diabetes. It puts her at risk for a stroke, heart attack, and other fun ways to go. She has to learn to live healthier. She wants to stick around. Scotty says it has silver lining. She doesn’t have to face it by herself.

Jordan asks if Stella got a potential DNA match, and Stella says they say that to drum up business. TJ says, not necessarily, but you have to pay for a follow-up. You can learn more about your background. Stella says she’s more concerned about where she’s going, not where she’s from. TJ says, what if it’s someone famous, but she doesn’t care if it’s Cleopatra. In their family, DNA means do not argue.

Chase wonders how Finn got stuck being involved in a criminal enterprise that had shady associates like Valentin Cassadine.

Curtis photographs Valentin’s folder. He hears Jax coming, and puts everything back. Jax walks in, and asks what he’s doing.

Bobbie tells Scotty that she’s feeling better, but Scotty says he’s not just there for moral support. She says, it’s too late for breakfast and too early for lunch. She has to do homework about what foods she should eat. Scotty says she doesn’t have to do anything alone. She says that’s sweet, but she has to go. He says, there was a time when they were more than friends. Maybe they can recapture that again in an RV, going down the highway of life. There will be holes and flat tires, but all she has to do is say yes. He’d get down on one knee, but he already is. Will she marry him?

Elizabeth wants to look at Franco’s new painting, but he stops her, saying she can’t see it. She says he’s in a good mood, and he says the first time they were supposed to get married, there was an earthquake. Then the next time, he was behind bars. The third time’s the charm. They’re finally getting their happy ending. She says they get to live their happily ever after.

Someone books a flight from Paris to Port Charles. Cassandra?

TJ encourages Stella to follow up on the genealogy. He says it’s fascinating what you can find.

Chase tells Finn that he knows he’s walking a tightrope between duty and his feelings. Finn knows it well. It’s not easy for him to balance life between the Hippocratic Oath, and life with an ex-WSB agent. They tell each other, good luck, and Chase leaves

Jax asks if Curtis found any breaches in security. Curtis says, there are a few blind spots in surveillance that he’ll need to eliminate. He’s thinking motion sensors. Jax says, he’s the expert. Whatever he thinks. Curtis says he’s putting together a proposal of the changes he wants to make. Jax will have an overall picture tomorrow. Curtis leaves, and breathes a sigh of relief when he gets out in the hallway.

On the phone, Ava says she’s running late, but they’d know that since they’re a psychic. Yeah, sorry. They probably do hear it all the time. She’s nervous, but she’s taking this seriously; she promises. She’ll come prepared. She takes a picture of Kiki out of her bag.

Carly tells Sonny, it’s like the like situation with Mike. It was a lot on them. Sonny says, there’s so much joy and love he’s given them. Carly says Sonny found Mike after all these years. Sonny says there’s been laughter and tears, and it pisses him off. He didn’t know Alzheimer’s would take away Mike’s defenses, and he’d see who Mike is underneath. He’s a good man with a big heart who loves his family. Carly says she loves him a lot, and Sonny says he wouldn’t trade Mike for anything. Like he wouldn’t trade what they had with Morgan. Carly says, at times, it might be heartbreaking, but this child isn’t a mistake or a statistic. It’s a gift. She has to believe that there’s a reason they’re having this baby, even if they don’t know what it is. They’ll believe in it together. No matter what. Sonny takes her hand, and says, no matter what. She says she loves him, and they kiss. She says she’s scared, and he says, so is he.

Tomorrow, Neil says he can no longer treat Alexis, Scotty suggests he and Bobbie get hitched, and Sonny tells someone they know what happens to people who double-cross him.

The Haves and The Have Nots

Jeffrey changes David’s bandages. He says he’s not as good as Madison. David should have him come back. He’s not a nurse. David says he’s fine, but Jeffrey says it wasn’t Madison’s fault; it was his, so let him come back. Jeffrey offers to call, and David says, tomorrow. He says Madison seems to like Jeffrey. Does Jeffrey like him? Jeffrey says, he’s okay, and David says he’d rather see Jeffrey with somebody like Madison than that punk. Jeffrey says, mom took care of that. She had him beaten and raped. He tells David not to act like he feels sorry. David says he doesn’t, but Jeffrey says, Justin is still a human being. David says Justin hit Jeffrey’s mother, and she felt the need to teach him a lesson. Jeffrey says she almost had Justin killed. What does David think she’s going to do to him? She’s ruthless. David knows. Jeffrey asks if he’s ready, and David says he made a few stops. Veronica’s gang busts in.

David tells Jeffrey, on the floor, and Jeffrey pulls a gun out from under the bed. David pulls guns out of every conceivable place. About ten guys are in the house, and they shoot back and forth. Veronica waits outside in her black leather, and says, that’ll teach you to try to kill me. You won’t be killing anyone else any time soon, sweetheart, you son of a bitch. She crunches out her cigarette with her boot, and walks into the darkness.

Mitch goes to the Cryer house, and asks if Jim has the package. Jim tells him, hang on. Wyatt come down, and Mitch tells him that it’s his lucky day, and to kiss his father for this. Jim gives Mitch an envelope. Mitch says, $75K? and Jim says, as requested. Mitch says, good man. Jim wants to confirm that nobody is going to try to kill his son. Mitch says as soon as he gets the money to his uncle. Jim asks how he’ll know the job is done, and Mitch tells him, because he said so. They shake, and Mitch suggest he get that son of his some help. Jim thanks him. After Mitch leaves, Wyatt asks if he heard right. Jim paid Mitch $75K? That’s a lot for $5K of coke. Jim says Wyatt had a special problem, and it took a lot of money to fix it. Wyatt says he’ll get the money back when Jim dies. Jim asks if Wyatt thinks he’s in Jim’s will. Wyatt says, and mom’s, and Jim says Wyatt will probably die before they do at the rate he’s going. Wyatt doubts that. He asks if he can go out, and Jim says, tomorrow he’s hauling Wyatt’s ass upstate and into rehab, and he’s staying there. Wyatt is going if Jim has to drag him by the balls. Wyatt smiles, and Jim tells him, go to his room. Wyatt says he’s an adult, and Jim says, act like one. Wyatt pats Jim’s face, and goes upstairs. slamming the door to his bedroom.

Still in bed, Broderick asks where Kathryn is going. She says she has to go home. She wishes she could stay. He asks if it’s her husband, but she says she’s not worried about him. He says, then stay, and she says she can’t. She likes him. He says he likes her too, and she asks, why? He says she’s beautiful, sexy, amazingly smart… Kathryn interjects, and rich? and he says, it doesn’t hurt. She asks if he’d like her if she was broke. He asks if she’d be this loving and kind if she was broke, and she says, yes. He says, then yes; he would. She says she’ll be back tomorrow, and he says he’ll wait right there. She says, in this bed, looking like that? and he says, yep. I hope he gets out of bed to go to the bathroom. They kiss, and she extracts herself, saying, she’s leaving. He thanks her.

Veronica goes to the hospital to visit Justin. She finds his room, and says, damn, girl. He tells her, get out of here, but she says she just wanted to sit with him, and check on her handiwork. She likes it. He tells her, get out, and she says, or…? Is he going to hit her? He says she’s wicked, and she admits she is. She just wanted him to know that wasn’t official. There’s so much more to come. He says, please, and she says, the girl begs. He says, he’s sorry; he’ll leave Jeffrey alone. She says, that part was supposed to come before. He says he’s gone through a lot. Please. She says, please what? Does it hurt? She knows what they did because they did what she told them to. Justin says again that he’s sorry. She tells him, repeat after her, I’m sorry for hitting the queen. She’s not talking Jeffrey, but herself. Justin keeps repeating, I’m sorry, and she tells him, stop begging. He sounds like a little bitch. He says she ruined hi life, and she says he ruined his own life. He wouldn’t leave her son alone. Justin says he was just trying to love Jeffrey, and Veronica says, sick sh*t. It will get him hurt again. She can’t wait for him to taste what’s coming. She touches his face, then wipes her hand on his hospital gown. She’s going to let him heal up before the second round. She grabs his face, and says, next time he thinks about hitting a real bad bitch, think again.

Madison comes in, and asks what she’s doing. She says visiting a sick friend, but Madison says Justin isn’t her friend. She says, all queens are her friends. Justin says he asked her to leave, and Veronica asks if he likes Madison now. Get together, and leave her son alone. Madison says he’s asking her again, get out of here. In the hallway, she tells him to get fillers. He’s looking old. Older than her, and she’s twice his age. She says, goodbye, girl, and saunters off. Madison goes back, and asks Justin if he’s okay. Justin says, no; she’s going to kill him. Madison says he’ll let security know. Justin says he knows Madison hates him. He has every right to, but Justin just loves Jeffrey. He’s so sorry for what he did to Madison. He’ll never understand what Justin is going through. He lost everything because of Jeffrey. Madison is sure it’s hard, but Justin had no right to do what he did. Justin apologizes again, and Madison says, okay. Justin asks if Madison can stay for a while. Madison says he’s fine. Justin pleads with Madison, but he closes the door. Alone, Justin says he’s just misunderstood.

RK calls to Wyatt, and throws rocks at the window. Wyatt comes out on the balcony, and RK tells him, throw down the earrings. Wyatt does, and RK says, damn nice. He throws the package of coke up to Wyatt, who makes another great catch. Wyatt says, what the hell? They’re getting smaller and smaller. RK says if he’d throw money down instead of damn jewelry… Jim comes out and asks what Wyatt is doing out there. He sees RK, and asks, what’s going on? RK says he left something in the car. Jim says he’s coming down, and Wyatt tells RK to go. RK says he’s not scared; he’s a blackbelt in karate. He’s got this. Jim comes out, and tells RK, remind him again why he’s there. RK repeats that he left something in the car. Jim asks if he brought something to his son. RK says he was in the neighborhood, and was saying hi to Wyatt. Jim says he’s lying. What’s in his hand? RK shows Jim the earrings, and Jim asks if Wyatt gave those to him. RK asks if he can’t have ten carat earrings, and Jim says twenty carat; he paid for them himself. Wyatt yells down that RK stole them, and Jim says, call the cops. RK says, go ahead. Wyatt has coke in his room. Wyatt says he’ll say RK stole the earrings. Jim says it’s a fact that RK brought drugs to his son. RK says it’s a fact that Wyatt wanted him to bring drugs. Jim says if RK ever brings his son drugs again, he’ll have him murdered. RK says, fair enough, and Jim says, get the hell out.

Kathryn pulls into the driveway. She sees RK leaving, and asks, what was that about? Jim asks where she’s been, and she says, out with her men. Jim goes inside, and she runs in behind him.

Wyatt sits in his room. Jim asks, where is it? Wyatt says he doesn’t have any drugs. Kathryn comes in, and asks, what’s going on? Jim tells her, check her jewelry cabinet. Wyatt has been trading her jewelry for drugs. Wyatt says Jim shouldn’t have taken his money. Jim pushes Wyatt. Kathryn tries to intervene, and gets pushed back by Wyatt. Wyatt and Jim get in a mini shoving match, and Jim says, don’t touch his mother. He tells Wyatt, sit. For once, do what he’s asking. In the hallway, Jim tells Kathryn, calm down. Does she see what he’s dealing with? Because if she had been a better mother, he wouldn’t have to deal with this sh*t. She says if he doesn’t get out of her face, she’ll push him off the balcony. He asks her to please check and see how much jewelry she’s missing.

Wyatt hears them go down the hall, and gets the coke out from under his mattress. He goes into the bathroom.

Hanna, Benny, and Candace clear the table after dinner. There’s a knock at the door. Hanna says, if it’s Derrick, don’t let him in. Benny asks what he did, and she says, just do it. He says, she’s not telling him, is she? It’s Mitch at the door, and Benny goes outside. Mitch says Benny owes him. Benny says, what? and Mitch says, his damn life. He got the money; Jim paid him off. Benny asks what Mitch is talking about, and Mitch says he’s got the money in the car. Benny asks how he did it, and Mitch says, don’t worry; he’s got it. Benny owes him. They bro hug, and Mitch says Benny is the only family he trusts.

Candace asks Hanna what Derrick did, but Hanna says she doesn’t want to talk about it. Candace knows the feeling. Hanna hopes she doesn’t. Candace says, they’re all dogs. Hanna says, not all of them. That would include her brother. Candace says they take your heart, play with it, make you fall for them, and then they dump you. Hanna says, that’s not what happened. Candace says Hanna liked him more than she’s liked anyone in years. Hanna asks how she knew that, and Candace says she can tell. She’s Hanna’s daughter, and knows her. Charles told her that he wanted to be there for her. They stayed in D.C., and he took her to the White House. It made her feel special. Hanna says, he raped her.

Candace says, this is the second time it happened to Hanna? It happened a lot to Candace, since she was seven. Hanna says it was her first time. Candace says didn’t Hanna say Candace’s father raped her? Hanna says, yes, and Candace says she doesn’t understand. Hanna says, he’s the man who did it. Derrick is her father. She had no idea until she saw the tattoo on his chest. She says Candace can’t tell Benny, and Candace says, okay. Hanna says Derrick didn’t remember her. He went to jail, got hooked on drugs, got out, got clean, and changed his whole life around, but he didn’t remember her face. Candace says that was her father? and Hanna says, yes. She says she’s sorry, and Candace asks what she’s sorry for. Hanna says she didn’t know all that stuff was happening to Candace. Candace says it made her stronger. Hanna says, it made her evil. She’s not trying to go there; she’s just saying. It made Candace evil to every man. Candace says she could get them before they got her. It worked until she gave her heart.

Mitch tells Benny that he got it done, and Benny says, it’s a load off. Mitch has to get the money back to his uncle, and end this. He saw the news about Candace. Benny says, she’s inside, and Mitch asks if he can say hi real quick, but Benny doesn’t think she’s up for it. Mitch says he’ll give Benny a shout when it’s handled. Tell Candace to keep her head up. Benny goes back inside. Hanna tells Candace, don’t say nothin’.

Benny asks, what’s wrong? and Hanna says they were just talking about women’s issues. Benny’s not buying it, and Candace asks if he has anything for cramps. She’s on her period. He doesn’t know what he walked in on, but Mitch took care of the issue with his uncle. Hanna says they just have to give Jim back the money, and it will all be over. Candace says, yes, it will. Hanna says, it’s a great start, and Candace says, amen. Hanna has to get up early. She’s got a job offer, and she’s starting at the Artisian. She goes upstairs.

Benny says they were talking about that dude, and Candace says, no. They were talking about periods. He says he’s got it. He thinks Candace should keep the money, but she says, no. He says, it’s $8 million, but she says, it’s not worth it. He says, keep it, and she says, do what with it? He says it’s enough that she’ll never have to look back, and Candace says, just over her shoulder. What about Jim? He’ll come after Benny. Benny says he can handle Jim’s bitch ass; keep the money. She says she can’t. She’s done. He says if he wakes up in the morning, and she’s gone, he won’t blame her. He washes the dishes, and says he loves her. She loves him too.

Mitch goes to the Iron Bone. He says he has something for Vinnie. Fifty G’s for the Cryer kid. Vinnie says, he got it? He laughs, and says Mitch did good. Mitch appreciates that, and now Vinnie can call off whoever. Vinnie tells dude whose name I don’t know to get Will on the phone. They’re calling it off. Dude can’t believe it, and Mitch says he got that done. There’s something else. He slides another stack of bills over to Vinnie, and says, that, my friends is twenty G’s for Benny. He got that done too. Now call it off. Vinnie says Benny owes him five grand for being late. Mitch slides yet one more stack across the table, and says, that, my friends, is five grand. Vinnie sniffs the money, and asks where the kid got the money. Mitch says, good question. He doesn’t know. Vinnie says he’s been thinking he wants more, but Mitch says, ask again, and he’s calling Mama Rose. Don’t get greedy. He’s got the money; call it off. Vinnie says, all right, and dude dials. He tells Will that the Cryer kid and Black kid – Mitch says, Benny Young – it’s called off. Vinnie says, it’s done. Mitch has to get going. Vinnie asks if he doesn’t want his cut, but Mitch says, no. Vinnie says, it’s family money. Mitch says he’s good; keep it. Dude says he can’t keep running from the family. Mitch says they keep trying to pull him back in, but it ain’t gonna happen. He tells Vinnie to keep the envelope for his bank. Vinnie says he’ll be there waiting. Dude says, for Mitch and his raggedy ass car. Mitch says, one day he’ll buy a new one with his own money. Vinnie says he’ll be back. Dude says he’d better be. Well, he seems to be the only one not just hanging around the bar all day.

Jim discusses something financial on the phone. Kathryn is getting ready for a bath, when Derrick calls. Kathryn says she didn’t know he’d raped someone, and asks if it was only one. He says, yes. In his bedroom, Wyatt takes out the gun. Kathryn asks Derrick, why he did it, and he says he was high. He’s sick about it. Saying how sorry he is doesn’t help. She says he’s Candace’s father, and he says, oh my God. She says she’s sorry. She thought Hanna told him.

Wyatt approaches Jim from behind. Jim is telling someone they have to stay cool and collected. Where is she? Wyatt cocks the gun. Jim turns around, and says, what the hell?  Wyatt calls him a son of a bitch, and Jim yells, stop! but Wyatt shoots him, and he drops to the floor. Kathryn hears the shot, and says, what the hell was that? She runs out and part way downstairs. She sees Wyatt with the gun, and calls for Jim. Wyatt starts to head upstairs, and she runs. He cocks the gun. She stumbles, but keeps going. She runs into the bathroom and cowers, asking him, please. He shoots her, and she falls into the tub.

We hear sirens. George’s car pulls up to the Cryer’s house, followed by a squad car. George gets out, along with a couple of cops. Wyatt comes out on the porch, and George asks where are his parents? Wyatt says, dead. He brings the gun out from behind his back and holds it in the air. They shoot him.

🌴 Tonight’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was basically a series of clips surrounding LVP’s lie detector test and Camille’s wedding. To make it seem fresh, they retitled it Behind the Episode 915. Obviously no recap necessary. It will be the same deal for The Real Housewives of New York City on July 4th.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

I missed the first minute, but nothing much happened. Sam woke up to Jason watching her sleep, and Michael ran into Brad outside of Charlie’s. So…

Mac asks Chase who the judge is that put Willow in custody. Chase says, Judge Walters. Does Mac know him? Mac says he knows know him well.

Laura finds Robert at The Floating Rib, and says, just the man she wanted to see. He says the last time a woman said that to him, she was holding him at gunpoint. What can he do for her? She says, find her daughter’s husband, and bring him home.

At the MetroCourt, Maxie asks how Lulu’s date went. Lulu says, unexpectedly. The burglar was at her house. Peter asks if she’s okay. She says she is, but he got away.

Drew shows Scout his office, letting her sit at his desk. He tells her, everyone likes the swivel chair. He tells her, let’s get to work. He shows her a picture of herself, and then Oscar. He says it’s a picture of her brother, and I notice how much Oscar looks like Scout. Drew says he wants to make sure she always knows her brother. Scout kisses the picture, and Alexis sees from the doorway.

Sam tells Jason that she doesn’t want to sound hypocritical, but she doesn’t hate being stuck with him in the safe house. He says, him either, and thanks her for picking them up. She was perfect on the trip back. She stayed within the speed limit, and made no unsafe lane changes. She asks if he’s telling her that she’s a reckless driver, and he says her speeding tickets speak for themselves. She says she has more control then he does. What was he thinking getting arrested by the Beecher’s Corners police?

Michael tells Brad that Wiley is a lucky kid, but Brad says, not right now. Michael says Wiley is surrounded by love. They won’t let anyone take him. Brad wants to believe that. Michaels says they’re in for a fight, but Wiley is Brad’s son. Trust the trust rest of them to come through for him. Brad says, he’ll do his best. Michael leaves, and Brad tells Wiley that he knows Michael’s intentions are good, but for now, they’re sticking with Julian, and getting free passports, just in case.

Inside Charlie’s, Shiloh talks to someone on the phone (his lawyer?) and says the baby is the right age. There was something Brad said; the pieces fell into place. No, he has no proof… yet. Brad comes in, and Shiloh says, but he can get it.

Chase says he knows he and Mac don’t know each other, but in the interest of justice and fairness, Willow is concerned for the safety of her child. He asks if there’s any way Mac can put in a good word with Judge Walters. Mac walks to the reception desk, and Chase follows, saying, the thing is, Willow is refusing to divulge her child’s whereabouts. She’s desperate to keep Shiloh away from him. Mac says Judge Walters came down hard on his stepdaughter. Chase asks if he means Maxie. He got to know her after Nathan was killed. She’s a remarkable woman. Mac says he agrees, but the judge didn’t. He thought she didn’t meet the standard for motherhood, and gave custody to the father, forbidding her contact. Chase thinks it might work in Willow’s favor. She needs the judge to forbid contact with the baby’s father. Mac can’t say for sure, but he thinks the father’s standards aren’t as stringent. He says Chase can see why it’s not possible for him to help.

Billy comes into the PCPD. He says he’s searching for an escaped prisoner. He’s dangerous, and may be armed. His name is Jason Morgan.

Lulu tells Maxie and Peter that she told the lookout to go home. By the time she realized the guy wasn’t her date, the burglar was already gone. Maxie says, he broke into her sacred, secure space. Why is she just hearing about this now? Peter says Lulu can’t stay there, but Lulu says Sonny has guards watching the place. Maxie wonders why the burglar didn’t take anything, and Lulu says, he tried, but a kid showed up, and scared him off. He turned out to be a friend of Sonny’s. He couldn’t find Sonny, and was looking for Dante, and stopped the burglar. It’s all good. Maxie says, it’s not good; it’s terrible.

Robert tells Laura that he’s sorry about Dante, but there’s nothing he can do. She’s sure he can something. He says, once upon a time, but he was given mandatory retirement. Laura says, him? He says today’s spies are a youthful business – requiring about 600 years’ experience. She asks who said that, and he says, him, just now. She wants it on a T-shirt. She’s sorry. She knows how much he loved his work. He says he still does; he’s just not allowed to do it. She asks how Frisco could do that to him, but he says, it’s not Frisco’s fault. Page 3000 of the rule book. There’s no fighting them.

Drew greets Alexis, who says it’s really sweet how Scout kissed the picture. He says, so she witnessed the schmaltz fest, but she says, don’t do that; it was beautiful. He says he’s been like this a lot. He catches himself staring at Scout, like he’s afraid to blink or she might not be there. She says she completely gets it. She can’t imagine losing a child; it’s unthinkable. He says for him too, but here he is doing it.

Robert thinks this is called the second act of life, and Laura says she feels like she’s on her fourth or fifth. Robert says it worked out good for her. She’s back with Doc – he made mistakes, but they all have – and she’s the mayor. She’s on the governor’s radar. She asks where he heard that, and he says, the governor.

Brad asks for Julian, but the bartender hasn’t seen him. Shiloh approaches Brad, and says he was looking for Julian last night. Brad ignores him, and asks the bartender to let Julian know he stopped by. Shiloh blocks his way, and says Brad just got there. Brad asks if Shiloh lives there or is stalking him. Shiloh says he was there first. He likes that Charlie’s is really family friendly. It’s wonderful to see Brad and his beautiful baby again. His heart is truly full. If this was real life, someone would have popped Shiloh in the nose by now, or at least thrown up on his shoes from all the saccharine.

Jason says, Shiloh owns the cops in Beecher’s Corners. Sam says when she got the text, she was worried, but Shiloh showed up. He makes her blood turn cold. Jason asks how Shiloh got near her, and she says she stopped in the park. She wasn’t worried; there were a lot of people around. Then Lucas showed up, and almost ripped Shiloh’s head off. Jason says, good for him. She says, his turn. Why was he busted? He says he was parked outside the city limits. Michael went to the diner where Carol Lockhart works. He talked to her, and got her to open up. He persuaded her to come back to Port Charles, but she’s on work release, and has to wear an ankle monitor. Sam says, that shouldn’t be a problem, and Jason says Spinelli’s trick worked. Michael took the monitor back to the diner, but Carol has a dog she wanted to leave food for. By the time she came back, Billy found them, and took him to lockup. He was refused his phone call, and heard Billy call someone for instructions. He swears it was Shiloh. Sam says, it was. She heard him telling Billy to kill Jason.

Mac says the department is familiar with Jason, but he wasn’t aware of any outstanding warrants. Billy says he escaped the Beecher’s Corners jail. He was in for kidnapping; he abducted a women. Mac ask why? He’s not known for randomly kidnapping women without a purpose. Who was it? Billy says he’s not at liberty to say, and Mac says Billy wants his help, but won’t tell him who the victim is. Billy says, the crime is a jailbreak, and Mac asks how Jason escaped. Billy says he may have had help from a guy they picked up. Mac asks what the guy’s name is, but Billy says he doesn’t know. Mac says he incarcerated someone and doesn’t know their name? Billy says he seemed to be inebriated, and had no ID, but he’d know him if he saw him. Michael walks into the station, and Billy says, that’s him. Jason Morgan’s accomplice.

Maxie asks how Lulu didn’t recognize her own date. Lulu says while she was waiting, a guy walked up who looked like the guy in the picture; it was an honest mistake. Peter says, meanwhile, the burglar was breaking into her house. He’s pulling the story. Maxie says, it’s not necessary. The burglar isn’t going to pick Lulu’s profile again. The whole thing is over, right?

Drew tells Alexis that he’s not going to lie. His heart is broken, but Scout is seeing him through, and giving him a purpose. Oscar was Kim’s only child. To see her go through this is tough to say the least. He thought going to Kilimanjaro to spread Oscar’s ashes would bring her a step closer to peace. In a way, it did for him, but not for her. Alexis asks how Kim is, and he says, spreading the ashes almost made it worse. It’s final now. They’re out of rituals, Oscar is gone, and Kim is desperately holding on to anything. For Kim, the only thing to fill the void Oscar left is Oscar. Alexis says, she thinks she’s not a mother anymore, and Drew says, that sums it up. No matter how he assured her, he can see it in her eyes; she doesn’t believe it. Alexis hates to contradict him, but there is in fact one more ritual to arrange in regard to Oscar’s death – the reading of his will.

Sam tells Jason that they need a plan. Jason says he has to get back to Beecher’s Corners, and get Carol safely back to Port Charles. She says he’s not leaving. He says she knows him; it’s no problem. She says the cop is one of Shiloh’s crazy Dawnies. She’s not letting him risk it. He says nothing will happen, but she says, it did. If not for Michael, he’d have been shot. He says he’s grateful, but would have gotten out regardless. Sam says he’s risked his life twice in 24 hours. Leave it up to her.

Mac asks what’s going on, and Billy says, he looks different cleaned up, but that’s the guy. Mac laughs, but Billy doesn’t find the humor in it. Mac says Michael is the CEO of a prominent company. Billy doesn’t care if he’s Jeff Bezos. He came in drunk, and when they checked on him and Jason, the cell door was unlocked. The only way Jason could have done that is if he had help. He wants Michael arrested for aiding and abetting.

Brad says, Shiloh values clarity, right? Shiloh says he values honesty, blah-blah-blah, and Brad tells him knock off the fortune cookie philosophy. He’s onto Shiloh, and knows what he does to people. Shiloh says he feds and clothes them. Brad says Harmony went to prison for drugging women for Shiloh’s ceremony, and the drugs she administered were the same thing in the cup he tested. Shiloh says he didn’t know, but Brad finds it hard to believe he wouldn’t know everything going on inside his house. He’s taking his son and leaving. Shiloh asks why he said it that way; my son (which is totally not weird at all, but okay). Brad says he doesn’t want Shiloh near Wiley, but Shiloh blocks his way. He can’t help but notice that Brad has been tense since he stopped taking classes. It’s not good for his son. Brad says, he and Lucas will determine what’s good for their son. Shiloh says, there it is again, that proprietary tone. He missed so much of his own child’s life. He’d be around Wiley’s age.

Lulu says she has to going. Peter says it’s not up to her, and if she claims she’s going to shop the story around, it’s a local proble. It’s terrible, but he’s concerned about her. Lulu says she’ll use a different profile picture. It’s not like the burglar wants meet anyway. Maxie says he’ll recognize her address, making me wonder what dating app would ever have you post your address. Lulu says he’ll find a place Lucy is letting her use. Peter says he’s not authorizing the expense, but she says Lucy is lending it to her for free. Another reporter, Stevie, will be acting as lookout, and be posted there. Maxie says, it’s much too dangerous, but Lulu says she’s doing it for the women of Port Charles. He’s tricking them and using their loneliness, and she’s made it her mission to expose him. Maxie says she sees what’s happening. Lulu might be fooling herself and Peter – sorry, he’s still new – but Maxie knows exactly what she’s doing.

Laura had no idea that Robert left the WSB, and no idea that he knew the governor. He says they went to law school together, but don’t be impressed. He’s got some advice for her; leave it alone. Let Dante heal. Laura asks how he’s going to heal without Lulu? Robert says, guys who go through what Dante is going through, it takes years to undo the damage. Laura asks if he has PTSD, and Robert says as a mental health advocate, she should understand. She says she’s not suggesting he come straight home, but they should be allowed contact. Robert says, they will, in time. She asks where he went to law school, and he says he spent three years at Fordham. He passed the bar the same day he was hired by the Bureau. As they say, the rest is history. She thought she knew him, but he’s a man of mystery. He says, was. She says maybe the governor can help him find a new job. He says the governor already has, and she asks, what is it?

Shiloh says thinking about Willow keeping his flesh and blood away from him hurts. Brad can just imagine, but tells Shiloh, skip the sales pitch. He starts to leave, but Shiloh says, one more thing; he needs advice. He’s helped countless parents, but doesn’t know anything about things like diapers and toys. He needs help. Brad suggests crossing that bridge when he comes to it. Shiloh says, to be completely honest, he wanted to come to Brad privately. He knows Brad’s husband has never taken a shine to DOD. Maybe he shouldn’t say anything… Brad says, sounds like plan, but Shiloh says he’d be remiss not to. It involves Wiley’s well-being. He doesn’t think Wiley is safe. Lucas got violent with him last night. It was shocking, coming from someone who’s a healer. Perhaps Lucas should consider another calling that’s less stressful. Brad deserves better; so does Wiley. Wiley deserves the best, and Shiloh hopes he gets it.

Sam tells Jason that she’ll talk to Carol, but he says, it’s too risky. She says no one knows her there, but he says she can’t be sure. She was involved with DOD in Port Charles, and they’ve been evicted. Some members might have gone to Beecher’s Corners, and will recognize her. She says, they won’t. She’s a con, and can be everything from an heiress to a fighter pilot, so she can be a waitress.

Mac says, arrest Michael based on what? Billy claims a man whose name he doesn’t know, and whose picture he didn’t take, who looks like Michael, aided and abetted Jason Morgan, who was in jail for kidnapping a woman whose with no name. No one there is a fan of Jason Morgan, but he’s not arresting Michael based on the word of a cop who let himself get knocked out. Billy threatens to call the FBI, and Mac gives him a phone, telling him to knock himself out. Chase joins them, and says Michael couldn’t have been there. He was with Chase.

Maxie says Lulu is throwing herself into her work because she’s lonely and misses Dante. Lulu says, yes, she misses him and it helps to not think about it for a little while, but the story still has merits. Peter thinks she’s right. Lulu says, when it’s over… and Maxie says Lulu had better still be alive. If she dies, Maxie will reverse haunt her. Is that a thing? Lulu says she loves Maxie too, and leaves. Maxie tells Peter, no more delays. They have to find Dante. He says even if he thought it was a good idea – which he doesn’t – where would they start? Maxie says there’s a WSB facility nearby. Peter says even if they could sneak in, it’s a bad idea. If Dante thought it was safe for him to be there, he would. They have to trust that he knows what’s best for his mental health and the safety of his family. Maxie is sorry he feels that way. She was hoping he’d go with her.

Drew says, Oscar thought of everything, even a will, at his age. He knew the end was near, and was still thinking of all of them. Alexis says, he was an impressive young man. She hates to bother him, but they have to schedule the reading. He says he’ll talk to Kim, and come up with a date.

Jason tells Sam, it might be safer not to bring Carol back; just get a statement. Sam says she’s not a cop or notary; it’s not admissible. He says it should be enough for them to subpoena her to make an appearance, and the statement will be on record. It will be the responsibility of the PCPD, and Billy can’t do anything. She asks if he thinks the statement will be enough. He says they could use a good corroborating witness, but thinks he can find one. She says Jason is a fugitive, and not going anywhere. He asks how she’s stopping him.

Chase tells Billy that he and Michael were at the gym until after midnight. Billy asks if it’s open 24 hours, and Michael says his father owns it; he has a key. Billy asks if he can prove it, but Mac says he doesn’t have to. Billy says, it’s official police business, and Mac says it’s out of his jurisdiction. Billy says he thought Mac would be willing to help. Mac says, he couldn’t have called? He comes here leveling accusations against one of their most prominent citizens, and questions the integrity of one of their best detectives. He’s wearing out his welcome. Mac tells him to take his ass out of there, and he’ll look into the charges. Billy says he’d better hear from Mac soon, and Mac says Billy will hear from him when there’s something to tell. Is he clear? Billy says, yes, sir, and leaves. Mac asks what going on. Michael explains that Carol wasn’t kidnapped. She’d been a member of DOD, and Jason was bringing her back to help build a case. Shiloh owns the cops in Beecher’s Corners, and they take orders from him. Mac tells Chase that he lied to two officers, one of whom is his boss. For the record, they weren’t together, were they?

Alexis tells Drew that she was going to bring Scout over to Lila’s Kids, but she seems happy to spend time with her daddy in his office. He says he’d like to spend more time with her, and Alexis thinks it’s a great idea. She hugs Scout, and Drew thanks her. She leaves, and he looks at Scout’s artwork, saying she’s a talented artist. Her brother was too. He played a mean guitar. He tells her about Oscar asking to go to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro, and makes a promise that they’ll make the trek together. It’s long and hard, but they’ll make it. They’ll visit her brother where he rests, on top of the world. He tells Scout that he loves her.

Peter tells Maxie that he doesn’t think interfering in Dante’s marriage or psychology will help him. Maxie says he’s Lulu’s other half, and Lulu is her best friend. What part of that is confusing? He asks her to cut him some slack. He never had a best friend… until her. If Lulu is her best friend, he guesses he’ll have to settle for number two. She says they’re both her best friend. It’s not a title; it’s a tier. He asks what else best friends do, and she says anything to make each other happy. Peter says he though to be a true best friend, you had to be completely honest, no matter what. Maxie asks if he’s the expert now, and he says, is he wrong? She says, it depends what’s at stake. He’s says if going to find Dante makes her happy, he’s with her. She says they’re more than best friend. Much more. They kiss.

Chase admits to Mac that he and Michael weren’t together. Mac gets that they’re trying to bring Shiloh down, and gets Chase’s concern for his girlfriend, but it’s Chase’s one and only strike. The next one, he’s out. Chase says, it won’t happen again, and Mac says, it had better not, and thanks Chase for breakfast. When he’s gone, Michael thanks Chase for the alibi. Chase says he couldn’t let Michael go to jail.

Mac sees Laura in the hallway, and says he was just about to call her. They need a new DA yesterday. She says she’s aware of the problem and couldn’t agree more. He says the case against Shiloh could crack any day. They need someone strong and incorruptible. Laura says only the governor can appoint one, but he has. Robert joins them, and says Mac is looking at him. The Scorpio brothers ride again.

Chase tells Michael he can’t do this again. Michael tells him to work within the system, and everyone else will do what they need to, to take care of Wiley.

Sam tells Jason that she means it. He can’t leave. He says, he does too. Try to stop him. She says don’t make her do it, and he grabs her. They tumble on to the bed.

Brad says his son needs a nap, and Shiloh says he can’t wait to say those words. Once Willow tells him the whereabouts of his son, he will. Brad says, good luck with that, and Shiloh says it sounds like he doesn’t mean it. Brad says he can’t imagine why. Shiloh says Willow will come to her senses. Until she does, it will eat at her soul, and she’ll become physically ill. Kind of like Brad. What’s troubling him? Brad says Shiloh is. Get the hell out of his way. Shiloh watches Brad leave from the window, and looks at the burp cloth he swiped.

Tomorrow, Ava says the interview is off, Chase tells Finn about Willow’s baby, and Bobbie wants to stick around for her family.

Below Deck Mediterranean

Antibes, France. Mila is called to the bridge. Captain Sandy tells her that her attitude is amazing, and she has passion in the galley. In Mila’s interview, she says it’s pleasant to hear that the captain thinks she has a great personality, spinning that slightly. She tells the captain that she wants to prove herself. Downstairs, Hannah says they worked hard to help Mila. No more excuses. João says a superyacht chef has to be good or gone. Captain Sandy says, as a human she has all the compassion in the world, but as a captain, has to let Mila go. She’s sorry. Mila says the decision is the captain’s, and if there’s no chance of staying, thanks her for the opportunity. To her credit, she doesn’t scream or cry.

Well, there’s a little crying in her interview. She says she feels awful. People like her, with a big ego, sometimes need to be put down to earth, but it makes her feel like she wants to work harder.

21 hours before charter. Captain Sandy says she hired Mila because she thought Mila was trained at the Cordon Bleu. We flash back to the captain saying she’s looking forward to amazing meals. Then we revisit the nachos. Captain Sandy says she couldn’t keep Mila. She was a liability. She wonders what they’re going to do, and calls Anastasia to the bridge. She tells Anastasia that she had to let the chef go, and asks if Anastasia thinks she could fill in for the next charter. Anastasia mulls that over. She says, being chef is effing hard. She’d rather stay on Hannah’s team, but she’s more than happy to step up and help out. In her interview, Captain Sandy says she’s taking a risk, but Anastasia is willing, and she’s proven she has raw talent. The captain thanks her, and radios for all crew to come to the crew mess.

She explains that she let Mila go. She’s leaving today, and Anastasia is filling the position for the next charter, while she looks for a replacement. In Hannah’s interview, she says, thank God, but now she’s down a stew. Captain Sandy says she heard someone in the deck crew cooks, and Travis says he worked as a crew chef. She asks him to help in the galley. Anastasia says she’s going to be cockier now. Aesha asks if she needs help. In Aesha’s interview, she says she feels bad, but not professionally. Mila will still think she’s the best chef in the world. Mila says she’s proud of Anastasia, and Anastasia says Mila will be fine. She’s a strong woman. In Mila’s interview, she says, good luck, now eff off. She almost feels like a winner. Confidence is always best. In Travis’s interview, he says, travel back to mother Russia. MF. Hannah says, somewhere, a tugboat needs a chef.

The boat is cleaned up. Aesha asks Jack for help with the cabins. She tells him about her brother, who passed away at twenty-four from a brain tumor. His last words were, I love you all. In Aesha’s interview, she says it showed her that life is short. Just do what you can. One day, you might not be able to. Jack tells her, stop making him cry. She’s supposed to be the cool girl.

Everyone gets ready to go out. Jack says he’ll be flying. Anastasia says she doesn’t have the experience necessary for the chef job. She’s going to try her hardest, but she’s fearful it won’t be enough. They go into Antibes to a restaurant, and order drinks and food. They toast to their departed chef. Colin says when he hangs out at home, a wild night is a couple of drinks, and in bed by ten. Anastasia decides to go back to the boat, while the others move on to a club for dancing and drinking.

Anastasia calls her boyfriend, crying. She says she’s not a chef and she’s scared. He tells her that she’s amazing. He loves her food.

Jack and Aesha drunkenly kiss. It’s time to go, and in the taxi, João tells Jack that he saw them grinding. In the other taxi, Aesha feels sick. Travis tells her if she needs to be sick, let him know. They get back to the boat, and Aesha makes it to the bathroom. Jack sleeps naked since he can’t find his underwear.

Anastasia says, as third stew, you do laundry, make the beds, and have someone to look to for direction. A chef is their entire team. She has to order the supplies, plan the meals, and make them. She’s doing everything, and doesn’t want to let her team down. Jack asks if Aesha remembers kissing him. She doesn’t, but thinks it’s funny. He says, her not remembering is sh*t for him.

The primary guests are Daniel and Sheree, who once owned a charter yacht. Their son Daniel and daughter Ashley are accompanying them. Ashley is a recording artist, and shooting parts of her next video on the trip. They want top notch service, and a wrap party dinner the second night. The captain asks how Anastasia is feeling, and she says she’s confident in the menu. In her interview, she says she has little experience, but if she feels hesitant, it will take her down. She needs to know the captain believes in her.

The provisions come in. João asks Colin if anything is wrong, and Colin says he’s tired of the sex jokes, and talking about how big everyone’s d*ck is. João doesn’t want him out of the group, and thinks maybe they should have an intervention – no more d*ck talk. Hannah meets with João. She’s feeling the pressure of being one stew down. Aesha needs to go to bed early to do Anastasia’s shift, and she’s worried. With guests this big, it’s risky. João says he’ll back her up. The captain radios the crew that the guests arrive at noon, and to get in their whites. Anastasia runs to change. In her interview, she says she never felt anxiety like this.

The guests arrive. After the crew’s greeting, Aesha welcomes them with champagne. Daniel asks if it’s organic, and when she fumbles around for a reply, he says, it doesn’t really matter. If there’s alcohol in it, he’s good to go. Wonderful. A comedian. Hannah does the tour, the luggage brought on board, and Anastasia asks Travis for help. He says he’ll try and help as much as he can, and João says the deck crew is good for now. He tells the captain, they’re good to go. In Captain Sandy’s interview, she says, losing a lead deck puts João at a disadvantage. He has Jack, but has to step up. She’s going to watch how he leads. João clears the lines by himself, and they shove off.

Hannah says the guests are hungry, and asks Travis to help with the crew meals. Videographer Cassandra films Ashley on the deck, while her music plays. I have no clue who she is, and I’m guessing she’s not anybody since it’s just a single videographer. She’s okay, but doesn’t sound like anything special. Aesha imitates her in the galley. The table is set, anchor is dropped, potatoes are peeled, and corn is… torched?

In her interview, Anastasia says she’s staying in her safety lane, and making dishes she’s made before. She knows the flavor, and how to execute them. The guests are seated, and the food goes upstairs. Anastasia runs through the menu for the guests. It’s Mexican fare, and looks authentic, not like Mila’s crappy stuff.

Everyone chows down, and we hear, amazing, so good, nailed it, and kudos to the chef. In Hannah’s interview, she’s glad, but wishes the compliments were for a chef, and not her third strew. Anastasia can’t believe how difficult it was. Captain Sandy calls around, trying to find a superyacht chef. She tells us, in her interview, that they have to perform difficult meals on the fly. Where’s Ben when you need him? Colin helps clear the table. The water toys go in. Unknown Ashley does more for the video. Colin says he was a music nerd in college, and having Ashley and her music on the charter is a nice pick me up. The captain says the swell is making it too roll-y.  They’re going to move to a calmer location. She tells them to bring in the slide, and they’ll tow the rest of the stuff. The wind is starting to pick up. Water splashes into the beach club.

Colin wants to use the davit to lift the slide, but Captain Sandy tells them to just pull it in. They don’t have time to use the davit, and it’s not safe. She radios for Travis to help with the slide. In her interview, she says, this is where they need a leader. Clearly, these two can’t figure it out. Travis helps Colin and Jack get the slide up. Sheree tells Aesha they’ve been discussing love connections, and want to know about her. Aesha says she’s an independent woman. In her interview, she says her last relationship was about two years ago. She’s very picky when it comes to guys.

Daniel comes into the galley, and asks for gnocchi for dinner. In Anastasia’s interview, she says it bothers her when guests come into the galley, but she’s so nervous, she’ll do anything to please them. I think it’s kind of rude, like just walking into a restaurant kitchen. The yacht changes location, and they drop anchor. Anastasia makes gnocchi from scratch. In her interview, she explains that being with her ex, she learned knife skills (something I desperately need – I stink at that) and cooking techniques to round out her knowledge.  She didn’t go to culinary school. The guests are big on Italian cuisine, so she’s making risotto, followed by the gnocchi. Her heart is racing. Mine too. Risotto always seems to be a problem on Gordon Ramsay’s shows.

The guests begin to sit at the table. Hanna is effing tired. Anastasia starts plating. I hold my breath. Captain Sandy comes to the galley, and asks to try the risotto. We have to wait until after the commercial, but she says, wow. Anastasia knows what she’s doing. In her interview, Captain Sandy says, there’s an art to making basic food taste good. This risotto is probably the best she’s ever had. Daniel wants to know what Hannah is doing for Thanksgiving. His son – the doctor – wants her to join them at the dinner table. In Hannah’s interview, she says, now he wants her to screw his son? She doesn’t have time to brush her hair. She tells him that she loves when guys ask her out through their dads. Everyone laughs, and when Hannah leaves, Sheree says they probably won’t see her for the rest of the trip.

Anastasia tells someone to get out of her face, and Hannah says she’s sounding like a chef. Captain Sandy checks in with the guests, and says she loves hearing the yum sounds. It’s music to her ears. Daniel says the food is outstanding. He has no words for the gnocchi. He can’t even. The captain tells Anastasia the guests loved dinner. In Anastasia’s interview, she says she doesn’t want the position, but she still gets off on the fact that she’s doing a good job. Aesha recites Shakespeare to Jack, and he’s impressed. Her reciting Billy Shakespeare was the last thing he expected. In his interview, he says She has more layers than you think. One minute, she’s sticking her finger up her bum, and the next, she’s reciting Shakespeare. Travis finally gets some sleep. Jack is on anchor watch. Hannah tells João she’s not impressed with Jack.

The wind picks up at 1 am. Jack calls the captain, who says, it was supposed to die down, not pick up. She tells him to get João. In João’s interview, he says he’s so tired. They’ve been working their asses off. Captain Sandy shows him there’s been a weather updates, and there’s going to be a serious wind. In her interview, the captain says, when it’s rocky, she doesn’t want the guests to be uncomfortable or get seasick, so she moves the boat. She tells the deckhands to pull in anchor. It’s tough to see, and Colin says, it’s he first time he’s dropping anchor by himself, and it’s in the middle of the night. He feels like a duck. On the surface, they look like they’re chilling, but underneath, their feet are paddling like crazy. He wanted to prove he could do the job himself, and he nailed it.

In the morning, the toys go back out. João is tired, and looking forward to things going back to normal, and everything running smoothly again. Anastasia doesn’t understand how it was so difficult for Mila. A stupendous breakfast is served. Ashley says she’ll never be starving on this boat. João is called to the bridge. The captain says she doesn’t want this same scenery today, so she’s heading over to the bay. In Captain Sandy’s interview, she says they’re filming more for the music video, and the backdrop in Cannes isn’t like the backdrop at the harbor. There, they have old architecture, and beautiful beaches. In João’s interview, he says he never bitches about work, but this is insane. Jack says they just put that sh*t out. Daniel orders a bloody Mary with breakfast to let his body know what’s coming.

In Hanna’s interview, she says, it’s exhausting, but they just have to push through. She might be speaking too soon, but it’s going well. In the galley, the toaster starts smoking. Anastasia covers the fire alarm, and says, the toaster is a POS.

Seaweed or some kind of sea plants are wrapped up in the anchor. The anchor gets hung up and all in a tangle on the deck. Colin radios that there’s some anchor on deck, and he needs someone. Captain Sandy comes out, and says, holy sh*t.

Next time, the crew performs for the guests, Jack gets a warning, and Anastasia gets called to the bridge.

📺 Tonight’s Watch What Happens Live was a rerun – on another vacation, Andy? – but the guests were Hannah and Anastasia. I watched it again because Below Deck is a favorite of mine, and they discussed Mila being homophobic. Andy suddenly said, some of the best chefs are homophobes, and there was total silence for a beat. Then Andy said he was kidding, but I literally lol’d because I was sure Hannah and Anastasia were thinking the same thing I was – really? and frantically running a list of famous chefs in our heads.

👀 Sighted today: Parry Shen (Brad, General Hospital) on a King of Queens rerun. He played a clerk in a grocery store who was hiding the good yams before Thanksgiving for the favored customers.

🔄 Crossing Over, Maybe…

I love Al (Maggie Grace). Her quest for the story and her passion for the truth are something I identify with. I like Fear the Walking Dead so much more than Walking Dead because I find the characters more compelling and not as one-dimensional. She’d definitely add some spark to the mix.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

Fear the Walking Dead

We flash back to when Al found the maps. She’s being carried in the rain, and wakes to find her hands tied together. She sees someone in the same uniform as the person she got the maps off of. They light a flare. Al scrambles up, grabs her knapsack, and runs. When her captor realizes, they follow. Al falls down a small hill, but manages to get the knapsack open and finds her camera. A zombie toddles toward her. She heads into the creek and falls, but rights herself. More zombies start to come.

Her captor continues to follow her, and she continues to run. She stops, seeing a group of zombies, and shoots at them. Her captor knocks her down. Unmasked, the woman says, the camera, holding a weapon in Al’s face. Al opens the knapsack. and shows her there’s nothing but the case. The woman asks, where is it? and Al says something I can’t decipher, but it’s probably bullsh*t.

Imprisoned in a car, Al bites at her ties. She sees a field with barbed wire fencing. I wonder, what happened? Did her captor have to pee? Al gets the door open with her foot, and yells, hey, baldie! to a zombie. She tells him, come here. He gets to the car, and she keeps kicking him back until she can grab the piece of barbed wire stick to him. She uses to get herself free, then smashes his head in the car door. No good deed goes unpunished, even for a zombie.

Al wonders what the hell the woman is protecting. She goes deeper into the woods, past a curtain, and sees a clearing with a helicopter sitting in it. She starts it, but it’s out of gas. She tries to radio Morgan and Alicia, but as the radio crackles, her captor finds her, and says, get out. Next time, handcuffs. Over the radio, someone asks if ground 17 copies. The woman drags Al out of the helicopter, and answers. She says the helicopter needs to be refueled. She hears that in 72 hours, a reclamation team will be sent. Al asks, what is that? and the woman holds a gun on her, but doesn’t answer.

The woman asks where it is; show her and live. She kicks Al’s leg out from underneath her, and says next is breaking a leg. Al says doing that will kill her. She’s not telling the woman sh*t. She refuses to show the woman where the tape is, and says her friends are stranded, and need a ride. She must have lost someone, but doesn’t seem upset. Al asks if the woman is going to kill her too? The woman says she just wants the truth. Why is Al out there? Al asks, why is she? The woman says, the tape first, but Al says, no. The woman says she needs fuel.

The woman packs up a bag. Al asks where they’re getting fuel, and the woman says there’s a fuel drop. Al asks if it’s high up, and the woman says, it’s for a helicopter. Al asks, how high up? The woman says there, and looks at the mountain range behind them.

They drive, and Al asks, what’s on the map? What’s with the symbol? Why did the woman get out of the helicopter? She knows the woman doesn’t want to tell her sh*t, but they have deal with each other. So she’ll start with the basics. She asks everyone, what is their name? where are they from? and what have they seen? The woman is silent, and she says she has to call her something. She’ll call her Happy. She says, Happy, let’s get to it. Where is she from? Happy asks why any of this matters, and Al says, when they’re gone, their stories are all that’s left. Some rocks tumble down into the road along with a zombie. Happy tells Al to wait, and gets out of the car. Al also gets out, saying she doesn’t take orders from Happy. Happy gives Al her jacket, saying she can’t afford for Al to get bit. Al starts saying again that she doesn’t take orders, but a zombie is getting closer. Happy says, Al wants to get transactional? Everything she does is to insure that more stories are left after they die. Al takes the jacket, saying if Happy wants her alive, it will take more than a jacket. Happy says she’s got them, and bayonets each of the zombies in the road. Rocks fall down onto the car and bury it. Al says, don’t stay in the car. That rule has kept her alive before people started eating each other’s faces.

Happy says they’ll have to walk, and gets her gear out of the car. Al grabs her camera bag, but drops it. While she’s trying to grab it, and zombie pokes it’s hand out of the rubble, followed by its head, and bites her arm repeatedly. Happy says if she wasn’t wearing it, she’d be as good as dead. She digs in Al’s bag, and Al tells her, be careful. Happy finds a tape in a secret compartment, labeled, The Bog, but Al says it’s not the one she’s looking for. Happy draws her gun, and Al says she might want to watch it before spraying her brains all over. Happy puts it in the camera, and it’s Al from the last time we saw her, saying there’s a story there, and she’s going to get as much as she can. The picture goes blank for a moment, and then we see her hiding. She says the National Guard is at the East Bridge. The Army is there too. They’ve declared it a national state emergency, and cordoned off the entire area. She has to go. Then she says the Army is in one direction and the National Guard in the other. They’re shooting at each other.

We’re with her for a moment. Al says she should have stayed, and the film stops. Happy asks, what is this? and Al says, it’s not included for the transaction. Happy says she could have been killed. Why do that for a tape? Al says she couldn’t say goodbye to her brother, so she got his story instead. He’s dead; his story is all that’s left. Happy says, thanks for sharing. Al takes off the jacket, and asks why Happy killed her partner. Happy says, if you see someone wearing that jacket, be afraid. They’re a force not living for themselves or now. Al has her stories; they’re about making the past. They have the future.

They walk together to a clearing where there are a bunch of junked cars. Happy looks inside one, and picks up a map of Texas. She looks in the back, and sees all kinds of gear. She says it looks like they’re not the first to make a climb there. Al says, no roads are passable. People could have been trying to get out, and could still be up there. They need to keep their eyes open. Happy asks if Al is good with heights. Al says nothing, and Happy says, answer her. Al says she’s answered plenty. Happy says they can make camp. It’s dark soon, and they’ll climb at the crack. She tells Al, get some sleep. She’ll keep watch.

Al sits in the tent. Happy joins her, and zips it up. They sit in silence. Al says she’s never told anyone what she just told Happy. Happy says they’re the same kind of bird. Al had a job and kept doing it, and it mattered more than people’s lives. Her too. Al asks why Happy killed her team member. She says she was just doing her job, and didn’t mean to piss in Al’s. Al’s stories matter, but some things matter more to her.

They start climbing. A zombie totters back and forth beneath them. Happy says if they don’t trust each other, they’ll end up like him. Al says if she falls, Happy falls. Trust her. Happy tells Al, follow her lead. I’m not good with heights, and this mountain is like straight up, and giving me a queasy feeling. I’d be hanging onto my chair if this was on a big screen. The come up to a zombie hanging from a harness. Happy says they’ll have to go by him. It’s the only path. She needs Al to climb over the anchor for the final push. Al starts moving sideways, and Happy is pretty close to the climber zombie. Happy slips, and I say, f**k! She’s hanging by the harness, and Al’s anchor starts to slip. She tells Happy that she needs slack. Happy kicks out, and grabs onto the side of the mountain. Al says she’s good but the anchor has cracked. Al inches toward the zombie. I’m making all kinds of noises at this point, and saying words I don’t normally say. At least not to the TV. She grabs his tool – no, not that one, some kind of multi-purpose thing, and stabs him in the neck. She unhooks herself, and moves along the ledge. She can quite reach his rope, and I’m dying. She swings over, knocks him out of the way, and hooks on. Happy can’t believe it. Al says, you fall; I fall.

They lie down at the top. Happy says, he was her friend. Al says, she killed her friend? Happy says, they were doing what they always do; getting supplies. Get in, get out. Al asks, supplies for what? and Happy says, purifying water. They found a nuclear power plant, and took every precaution. It was timed perfectly. They were on their last run, when Beckett saw what radiation did to the dead, and he cracked. He was afraid he’d end up like them, and he did. She kept this a key to a cabin he’d always talked about. It has a view to the ends of creation. Happy says she sees that every day, and tosses it off the cliff. Al asks why didn’t she let him go? and Happy says, nobody walks away. let alone with the maps he carried. She hesitated, and thought of mediating the fear, but protocol is to extinguish threats. She shot him. Her friend had to die. Al says Happy wants to tell her everything, but that means she’ll have to kill her too. Happy says, no. She needs Al’s help. Al says if she leads Happy to the tape, she’ll have to kill Al for operational security. Happy says, yeah, she does. They look out at the view from the mountaintop.

At the fuel drop, they find a zombie. Al says he didn’t make it far. Happy tells Al, stay, so she follows. Happy pikes the zombie, and Al grabs her from behind and knocks her down, taking her weapon. It’s a combo-thing, with a gun and a bayonet-type trident. Al says she told Happy that she didn’t follow orders. She’ll hang onto Happy’s weapon. Her operational security. She asks if there’s enough fuel, and Happy says enough for the chopper to get up and get her where she needs to go. She’s not flying Al’s friends out, even if Al gives her the tape. Leaving her there would be a bad idea. Al says she’s got food and water; she’ll manage. They’ll go home. Happy asks if Al has every flown an L-3, and Al says she’ll figure it out. Happy says the reclamation team will be there in 24 hours. She doesn’t want to be anywhere near the helicopter. Just don’t be. Find another way. And even if Al isn’t giving her the tape, she has to destroy it. Al asks, why? Happy says, she wants an interview? Let’s talk.

Where she’s from, she’s not telling Al, but it’s something that will be bigger than her, Al, all of them. Al says, they’re the future, and Happy says she and Al are the past. If someone finds the tape, they could figure out the map, and it makes what they’re working toward vulnerable. She needs the tape. It’s not about her or Beckett, but the future they’re rebuilding; what they once had. Happy says she’ll die there if she has to, but if Al doesn’t destroy the tape, Beckett’s death and her death won’t amount to anything. Al wants her brother’s death to mean something. Stories matter, but they have to make sure there are people around to hear them one day. Al says she’ll show Happy where the tape is. She asks how long they have there, and Happy says, just the night.

The build a fire, and Happy breaks out the beer. Al says, they have beer where she’s from. Happy says she left that out. Al asks if they have a brewer. One of her friends is trying to be one. They share a bottle, and Al says, not bad. Happy says it would better if they’d met before this. When the sun comes up, sh*t gets real. Al gets it. They watch the fire. Al says, everything’s so ugly nowadays. This is nice. I say,  hmm… is that a spark between them?

Al wakes up, and Happy says, let’s go. They have to hurry. Al takes Happy to the creek. She says she had to be sure someone could find it if Happy killed her. Happy pats down a corpse, and says, so she put it on one of the dead? Al says, not that one. Happy pikes a poor soul struggling to come out of the creek. Al takes a bag out from the pocket of another. She gives Happy the tape. She asks if Happy wants to check it, but Happy says, no. She puts gunpowder on it, and lights it. They watch it burn, and Happy stomps the remaining flames out. Al says, that’s it.

Happy says, the tape is only part of the story. The mission… no one can even see them. She tells Al, turn around… please. She holds a gun to Al’s head. Al says however long it takes Happy to pull the trigger, she knows she tried to do something with the story. She gets it, and wants Happy to know that. She can contribute if she does something for Al. She tells Happy, take this, and gives her The Bog tape. She says, make sure the story matters. Al turns and waits to be shot, but Happy says she wants Al to live.

Happy says, don’t chase this story. Do not try to find her. She hopes Al gets back to her friends, and they get home somehow. Her name is Isabel, she’s from Indiana, and she’s seen the prettiest thing since the end of everything. They kiss, and I almost cry, it’s so touching. They walk out of the woods together, but go in separate directions at the road. Isabel kills a couple of zombies in her path, as she carries the fuel.

Isabel puts the fuel in the helicopter. She radios that she’s refueled, and ready to return. A voice says, the payload? and Isabel says, yes. Everything according to protocol. They say she’s cleared for return. She looks at the tape Al gave her, and sort of smiles.

Al sees the helicopter go up and out. She sighs, and radios Morgan. Morgan asks where she is.

Al waits under a tree, and Morgan and Alicia arrive. They hug, and Morgan asks how she is. She says, all right, and Alicia says they’ve been looking everywhere for her. Al says she got overrun by the dead. She ran into the woods. Morgan says she told them there was a story, but she says, no. It was just a weird lighting trick in the camera lens. Alicia asks if she saw where the helicopter came from, and Al says she tried to get in there, but was too late. Alicia says she’s just glad Al is safe. Morgan says they’ll find their way out – hopefully. It’s not just them. Al says, more new people, and Morgan says he’ll tell her on the way. Al sees the others ahead, and says a last name too fast and long for me to type. Morgan and Alicia look at her, and she says it’s her name. She had two Polish parents who insisted on double-barreling. She just thought she should tell them. Alicia looks at Al like she’s five, and smiles. They continue on.

Next time, all the kids join in, Dwight joins the group, and Morgan says they can do this.

🎢 Not My Weekend…

Mine was far from wild, but at least there’s the possibility of a four-day weekend coming up.
