What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

At the hotel, Maxie runs into Peter putting his room tray out. She tells him she locked herself out of her room, and is going to have to go to the lobby in her PJs for a new card. He insists she use his phone.

At a restaurant in Belgium, Andre tells Anna it doesn’t look like Port Charles will be rebuilding for a while. At least her loved ones are all right. Anna says Felicia and Griff texted. He asks about Finn, and she says she didn’t hear from him, but Griff said he was working in the ER all night. Andre says she must be glad he’s safe. She changes the subject, saying she’s grateful for Andre’s help in tracking down the midwife. He says being a medical professional has its perks. A woman approaches the table, and says she’s Michaela, the midwife. How old was she when she delivered Anna’s baby? Ten?

Sonny tells Carly that everyone is accounted for. Carly can’t believe Josslyn is okay, and Michael is supposed to be released this morning.

Nell looks at Michael’s picture on her phone. Monica asks how she’s feeling, and Nelle says shaken up, but all right. Luckily, Carly was with her, and she’s not being facetious. Carly did a good job calming her down. Monica says Michael has been released, and should be there any minute.

Jason asks how Michael’s head is, and Michael says he’s gotten the all clear. He asks what happened to Jason, and Jason says, a lot. He just dropped Sam off to check on Drew.

Sam asks how Drew is feeling, and he says fine, now that she’s here. He’s fine and the kids are fine; what about her? She says she made it through without a scratch, but she did go to look for him. He can’t believe she went alone. She says she wasn’t. She was with Jason.

Anna says it must be a mistake. The midwife who delivered her baby would be seventy at least. Thank you. Michaela says she must be looking for her mother; they’re both midwives. Anna asks if they can contact her, but Michaela says she died last year. Anna and Andrew give their condolences. Andre asks if she kept any records. Anna says she wasn’t in the position to take care of a child, and Michaela’s mother arranged an anonymous adoption. Michaela says that’s often how it works now. Anna says it’s vital she find the family. It’s possible her child inherited a genetic illness that manifests between the ages of thirty and fifty. Can Michaela help?

Maxie looks around Peter’s room, and says she thought there was no damage from the earthquake. He tells her that his clothes just blew out of the drawers; obviously, he’s not a neat freak. Maxie says neither was Nathan. Peter says maybe it’s a guy thing, but Maxie thinks maybe it’s a slob thing. He asks when she checked in, and she tells him a few nights ago. She can’t stay in the apartment without Nathan.

Carly tells Sonny that she gets why Michael is checking on Nelle, but doesn’t want him to send the wrong message. Sonny says she seemed nice to Nelle when he found them, but she says Nelle was scared when she thought the baby was in trouble. It’s nice to know she’s concerned about her child, but it doesn’t change anything; she’s seen Nelle’s true colors. She tells Sonny that Mike got lost again, making it twice in a matter of days. They have to deal with his father’s Alzheimer’s. They have to make a plan.

Jason tells Michael about the trailer collapsing. Michael asks what they did, and Jason says they found a way out. Michael wonders if it was as simple as that, and Jason remembers Sam telling him that she still loves him.

Sam tells Drew that Jason was at the Quartermaines. The roads were closed, and she asked for a ride on his bike. When she saw The Floating Rib was destroyed, she was scared when she couldn’t find him. He tells her he was trapped under a freezer door. She asks how that’s possible. He explains that they couldn’t find Oscar and Josslyn, and discovered they’d wandered off to be alone. By the time he and Kim found them, the earthquake had jammed the door, and they both had hypothermia. Josslyn recovered quickly, but not Oscar. When the aftershock hit, he was knocked unconscious and pinned under the freezer door. She asks how he got out, and he says, Franco and Dante. She didn’t think there was such a thing as karma, but Franco wouldn’t have been there if she and Jason hadn’t saved him.

Maxie knows should be handling it better. She’s a grown woman and a mother. Peter thinks she’s doing great. He saw what it was like going back to the apartment, and it’s beyond him how she even spent the night there. She says she slept on couch, and when that didn’t help, she cleared out Nathan’s stuff. She thought that would make it easier, but just made the rooms look emptier. She tells Peter it’s like the baby has a sixth sense. Whenever she’s in a downward spiral about Nathan, it gives her a kick. She was thinking about how unfair it is. The baby is carrying Faison’s genes, and Nathan would help her decide what to do. Does she really want to know if the baby is predestined to be sick when it’s older? All of the life-changing impossible decisions have to be made alone, and she doesn’t know what to do.

Michaela says her mother was known for extending her services, and Anna says she was kind. She didn’t push her when she didn’t want to hold the baby, and promised to find a good home. Andre asks if she knows any way to find out anything. Michaela tells him that because of the nature of her practice, she was afraid of discovery. It would have been indiscreet to keep records. She’s sorry, but she can’t help

Sonny asks Carly to wait a second, but she says it can’t wait. Mike was arrested. Sonny says it worked out. She says he was alone in middle of a natural disaster; this can’t go on. Sonny says it’s not his turf or home. He needs to get back to Brooklyn. Carly says he should stay there with them.

Nelle tells Monica that maybe Michael was delayed. Monica says he told her that he was stopping by to take Nelle home.

Michael tells Jason that he’s glad they made it, and Nelle and the baby are fine. He can’t change that Nelle is carrying his child, and doesn’t know if he can trust her again, but the thought of something happening to her scared hell out of him. He asks Jason what his take on Nelle is, and Jason says he barely knows her. Michael wants to know his opinion from what he’s seen and heard. He trusts Jason more than anyone.

Sam tells Drew that Franco had barely left the trailer when the aftershock happened. They were literally hanging off a cliff, and had to jump before the trailer exploded. Drew thinks she should be checked out, but she says she’s fine. She asks about him, and he says as long as she’s there, he’s good. It’s the first time he’s ever been grateful to Franco.

Maxie can’t fathom Nathan having anything wrong with him, and Peter says maybe he didn’t have it. She says there’s a 50% chance he didn’t, and could have been totally healthy. Maybe the other son is one who drew the short straw. Wouldn’t it be justice?

Anna says that she and Michaela’s mother formed a friendship. She was sweet and understood things. Maybe she mentioned Anna? She’d called her Tess, as in Tess of the d’Ubervilles. Maybe she knows that name.

Drew tells Sam he could only watch while Kim and Dante did CPR on Oscar. He felt guilty. He missed so much of his son’s life; he wants to make up for lost time. Sam hopes he gets his wish. He says all of his wishes are granted right now. He just needs one more thing – to get out of here. Monica walks in, and says that can be arranged.

Michael tells Jason that Nelle went beyond messed up. It didn’t have to be this way. If she hadn’t made the decisions she did, it would have made all the difference. Jason asks if she could go back, would she change what she did. Michael thinks so. She didn’t have an easy life. He knows his mom has issues with her, but she’s made enough mistakes to understand that people deserve second chances. Jason wonders why she can’t get there with Nelle, but says she has good instincts. If he were Michael, he’d trust them.

Carly tells Sonny that Mike can stay with them. They have plenty of room and can hire professional caregivers, and despite his relationship choices, Griff is a great doctor. Sonny says he’s not moving in. He’s from Brooklyn, and Sonny can put him in his own neighborhood; he’ll do whatever it takes. Carly says Mike is the only family he’s got. Sonny says he’s handling it, but Carly says he’s not. Sonny says the last time he checked, Mike wanted him back with Brenda, and she resented him for that. She says she’s not doing it for Mike; she’s doing it for him.

Nelle’s phone rings. She answers, then says, it’s not possible; it can’t be.

Monica says if Drew promises to take easy, he can go home. He says, in that case, he promises. Monica is thankful he’s okay, and proud of how he looked after Oscar, getting him and Josslyn out of danger. She tells Sam to take care of him, and he says they’re doing a good job taking care of each other.

Jason tells Michael about Hanna Scott, a girlfriend of Sonny’s who turned out to be a Fed. Everyone thought things were fine, but Carly zeroed in on it immediately. Sonny didn’t listen, so Carly trailed her. She ended up getting mugged, and her wedding rings were stolen. She was married to AJ at the time, but Jason replaced them for her. Michael says it makes sense now why she still has them. They remind her of Jason. Jason says she was relentless, and eventually was proven right. Michael asks if Jason thinks he should trust Carly’s instincts, but Jason says, no; he should trust his own, and like Carly, don’t let anyone talk him out of them.

Carly understands that Sonny doesn’t want to watch Mike deteriorate, and become a shell of himself. Sonny doesn’t know if he can do it, but Carly says he can, and she’ll be next to him. He can change his mind in six months, but there will be less of Mike to spend time with. She suggests he do it now, while he still can. Sonny say he’s scared. Carly says she knows, but not to let fear trick him into pushing Mike away. It’s going to hurt no matter what, but he has the opportunity to come away with something positive. He can make peace while Mike is still himself. She wants that for both of them, and knows he wants it too.

Mike comes downstairs, and asks if the phones are working. He called Rita, but she said she’d moved back in with her sister. He must have heard wrong. Sonny looks at Carly.

Peter tells Maxie that he did some research, and she can have the test between the 16h and 18th week of pregnancy.

Here’s where my dear friend George Stephanopoulos interrupts, so I can be told about the steel and aluminum tariffs. Because it can’t wait twenty minutes. I hunt down the rest of the show online.

Peter says he knows Maxie was worried, and wanted to help. Maxie isn’t sure she wants to know. He asks when she’s due, and she tells him June 17th. He says the timing is perfect. She says the baby is going to be a Gemini. Peter says he is too – his birthday is on June 13th.

Michaela asks Anna what the baby’s date of birth was, and she says June 13th. What a coincidence! Michaela tells Anna that her mother lit a candle every year on that date, and said a prayer for the baby. Anna asks why. Michaela says years later, her mother ran into the family, and they’d had to let the baby go. She questioned them about it, but they deflected, and ran off. She never saw them again. She suffered greatly over it because she felt responsible. Andre says it wasn’t her fault, and it isn’t Anna’s either. Anna is a survivor, and so is her daughter. Michaela says Anna didn’t have a daughter. Her mother had said she had a perfect little son.

Peter asks Maxie if it Isn’t better to know everything and be prepared. She wonders how it’s his business, and he apologizes for overstepping. She says, no, she’s sorry. She lost her edit button when Nathan died, and wasn’t tactful to begin with. He says she’s entitled to her feelings, and she says he’s entitled to his opinion. Peter says they’re colleagues, and she has the right to keep things to herself. Maxie says he was with her when Nathan died, and they’re past being acquaintances. Nathan would want her to get tested. He was concerned to point of being obsessive about the baby’s health, and she told him the baby would be fine. Look how wrong she was. Peter tells her somehow, someday, everything will be fine.

Anna tells Michaela that she was led to believe she had a girl. Maybe someone else gave birth on the same date. Andrew says without documentation, they don’t know anything, and asks Michaela if there’s anything else she can tell them. Anna says there’s a 50% chance of her daughter getting the disease, and she should know. Michaela tells them to wait. She has something that might help. She leaves, and Andrew asks if Anna is sure she had a daughter. Anna says she didn’t ask; she didn’t want to know. Valentin is the one who told her, but what could he possibly gain by lying? Andre says for some reason, he doesn’t want her to find her son.

Carly tells Mike she’s sorry, but he heard right. Rita left him. Mike says they were together five years, and had a great thing going; why leave? Carly says she came there looking for him, and she had to tell her about him being sick. Mike says she had no right, but Sonny says Rita backed her into a corner; she had no choice. Carly says when Rita found out, she made it clear she hadn’t signed on for that. Mike says, for him? Carly says, to see him through an illness like that. Sonny says he’s sorry, and Mike starts to cry. This dude is tearing my heart out every other day. Mike asks what he’s supposed to do now, and Sonny says this is what they’re going to do, and it’s going to be okay.

Nelle dries her tears. Monica comes in, and asks what’s wrong. Nelle tells her the earthquake destroyed her apartment building. She’s homeless.

Michael tells Jason that he’s going to see Nelle; he’s the only person she has. He thinks Jason is right about his mom’s perspective. She’s usually right about people in general, but especially about the two of them. She thinks Jason and Sam belong together. Maybe she’s on to something. Michael moves along, and Jason takes the dog tag out of his pocket and looks at it.

Sam asks if Drew is ready to go home. He says he’s always ready.

Jason wants to leave the dog tag at the nurses’ station for Sam. He says her husband was admitted to the hospital. Drew is suddenly there, and says Jason got lucky. He can give it to her himself. He asks what it is.

Anna tells Andre that she thought she and Valentin had reached truce of some sort. What possible reason would he have to lie? Andre says maybe it’s as simple as him knowing something she doesn’t. Anna hopes Michaela is wrong. She needs to believe her daughter is in good hands; a happy and well-adjusted adult, who didn’t inherit anything from Faison. Andre prays she’s right. Michaela wasn’t exactly forthcoming, and he’s not entirely sure they can trust her.

Michaela returns, saying she wasn’t sure she could trust Anna at first, but her mother did keep records. Perhaps this will help Anna find what she’s looking for. She gives Anna an envelope. She takes Anna’s hand and wishes her good luck. Anna thanks her, and she leaves. Anna opens the envelope. She says it’s her baby. It doesn’t just have the date he was born, but the year and the time. She has a son.

Maxie tells Peter that she’s going to do it. She’s going to have the baby tested. Peter says from the information he got, she should have someone go with her. She asks if that’s to peel her off floor, and he says or help celebrate. He suggests Nina, but Maxie hasn’t told her. Peter asks what about her mom? Maxie says her mom is amazing, but she’ll only make her more nervous. Peter asks her to tell him if he’s overstepping, but he’d be more than happy to go; someone to be there when she takes it in. She says she’d like that.

Anna looks at the baby’s footprints on the paper.

Sonny tells Mike he doesn’t have to go back. He should stay with them, and spend some time with his grandchildren. Carly says soon there will be a great-grandchild. He can share memories and laughs; let them take care of him.

Michael asks Nelle if she’s okay, and she tells him it was a false alarm; he’s the one who was actually hurt. He says he’s fine; his head is still attached. She thanks him for picking her up  and getting her home. He says he can help her clean up, but she says that won’t be necessary. She has no home to go to. She’s surprised he wasn’t notified that the building was destroyed. He says he’s sorry, but she says the story has a happy ending. She’s moving in with the Quartermaines. His grandmother wouldn’t take no for an answer. Monica says she’s invited Nelle to live with them. Nelle hugs Michael.

Sam tells Drew it’s Danny’s dog tag that he ordered for Annabelle II. Jason says in all the craziness, it ended up in his pocket. He’s glad Drew is okay, and Drew says, same to him. Jason leaves, and Drew asks Sam if everything is okay. Sam says when they get home, they need to talk.

Tomorrow, Jason wants to draw out Henrik. Sonny tells Mike he’s not himself, and Franco confronts Scotty.

🔪 Since I had to do some work for my paying job, I missed most of the finale for Top Chef. However, I managed to catch the end, and Last Chance Kitchen Joe won the honors. It just goes to show you, never give up.

⏰ I did catch a late-night mini marathon of Don’t Be Tardy, which I haven’t seen in a while. While I’m not crazy about Kim Zolciak, and her daughters seem dumb as rocks, I do like this show. I love her chef, Tracey, who is a total looney-tune, and the tone isn’t mean-spirited. Not nearly as good as Sweet Home Oklahoma (when’s that show coming back?), but a nice break from housewives, summer houses, and real estate.

SmileyConfusedMA36106495-0001 Elizabeth Hurley was a guest on tonight’s Watch What Happens Live, and seemed to have spilled some spicy tea. Apparently, she’s close friends with Victoria Beckham (who I love), and said that another Spice Girls reunion was a go. Maybe I’m behind, but last I read, it was a no. I have mad love for The Spices, and have seen them twice. Yeah, I know, but I love all genres of music (well, maybe not that experimental John Cage type stuff), and I think they arrived at a time when they were needed. They were the bubblegum of the 90s, and a sigh of relief after the angst of Kurt Cobain’s death. I saw them both times in 2008, during their last reunion tour. Back in the day, I went to a lot of concerts, but like Broadway, ticket prices have skyrocketed. Hell, movies are borderline unaffordable. Thank God there’s a dollar store in the mall, because I’m not taking out a second mortgage to buy a box of M&Ms. But as usual, I digress. I try to choose wisely who picks my entertainment budget pocket, and they didn’t disappoint. I felt like I got my money’s worth. Lots of costume changes, big sets, special f/x, and all the songs. And the girls really are good singers too, despite so many people poking fun at them. I’m sure they cry all the way to the bank. I’ve also enjoyed many of their solo efforts. Geri Halliwell is especially impressive. And dare I say it? IMO, Mel C does a better rendition of Like a Prayer than Madonna.

😩 I’m seriously growing weary of moments, movements, and international anything days.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Things are shaking again in Port Charles. Jason tells Sam not to move.

Ned is at the station on the phone. It’s chaos. He asks for FEMA to get involved; he needs federal assistance. Good luck with that. He says he’s waiting ten minutes, and then he’s calling the White House. Alexis tells him that she hasn’t heard from either of her daughters since the quake.

Molly is brought into the hospital. She was hit by falling debris, and lost consciousness on the way there. Finn calls for a bunch of medical stuff. He tells Julian and TJ to wait outside.

Drew asks if Kim is all right. She’s okay, but Oscar not so much. His breathing is shallow again. Dante yells for Drew, but sees him smushed underneath the freezer door.

Sam looks through a hole in the floor, and tells Jason there’s nothing down there. He says if it shifts again, they could fall. She asks what they’re going to do, and he says he’s working on it.

Franco and Elizabeth go to the hospital. She asks him to check on the boys. Josslyn talks to TJ about Oscar. TJ says Kim is a doctor. He’s sure she’s taking great care of him, and Josslyn says he’ll be okay, and so will Molly. Amy tells TJ that he can come in.

Finn says Molly has a broken rib, but no internal bleeding. TJ is welcome to stay with her; she should be waking up any time now. He sits by the bed and takes her hand. He tells her that she’s going to be all right, but he needs a favor. He wants her to wake up and tell him herself

Ned says they’re coordinating the evacuation centers. Alexis asks if Jordan has heard from Molly and TJ, but she hasn’t. Alexis tells Ned that they were on Charles Street. Finn calls Alexis to tell her that Molly is at the hospital and should be fine. She asks about TJ, and Finn says he’s fine too. Alexis lets Ned know that Molly is stable, and asks him to tell Jordan that TJ is okay. An officer confers with Jordan. Ned tells her about TJ, and gets a call from emergency services.

Molly opens her eyes. TJ tells her that she has a broken rib, but Finn says she’ll be fine. She asks him to take her oxygen mask off. He says he shouldn’t, and she tells him that he can put it back after he kisses her. Done and done.

Dante shoves everything aside. Kim asks what happened. Dante tells her that Drew is trapped under a door, but he can’t tell how badly Drew is hurt. He needs help lifting the door, but Kim can’t leave Oscar; she doesn’t like the way he’s breathing. Dante throws Oscar over his shoulder, and says, let’s go. Kim follows.

Jason cautiously gets up. He tells Sam the doorway is clear. If she grabs his hand, he can pull her out. The trailer starts to rock, and Jason tells her to stay close to the ground and go slow. It rocks again, and Sam says if she moves anymore, it will go. She tells Jason to jump out; the trailer will protect her. He says, no, it won’t, and tells her keep going. Focus on him. She reaches out.

Finn tells Alexis to go right in, and that Molly will be fine. Molly tells Alexis that TJ saved her, but he says it wasn’t just him.

Julian asks Josslyn if there’s any word on Molly, and she says TJ is with her. He asks why she’s there alone, and she tells him that she’s not. Her mom is upstairs with Michael, and she’s waiting for Oscar. Julian asks if he’s okay, but she doesn’t know.

Olivia-Q shows up at the station, and asks Ned how it’s going. He tells her that he’s coordinating the state and federal services. He was just informed of a water main break, and there are people unaccounted for. Olivia asks how this happened, but that’s what he’d like to know.

Julian asks if Franco isn’t overdressed, and Franco tells him a natural disaster doesn’t care what your plans are. Dante brings in Oscar. Josslyn runs to him, but Kim tells her to stand back. She says Oscar will be fine, but his father isn’t.

Jason says he knows Sam can do this. He tells her don’t quit and never panic. The trailer rocks, and she slides back. She says she’s panicking. Jason holds out his hand, and says she can do it. He grasps her hand, and says he’s got her. Love twinkles out of her eyes, and I roll mine. He grabs her as the floor falls out.

Ned says the last earthquake there was in 1991, and it was a once in a ten-thousand-year event. Earthquakes don’t happen there, and definitely not every twenty-five years. Why this one? Jim shows up, saying his equipment is at their disposal. Jordan says Charles Street sustained the most damage, and Jim says it’s on a landfill and not stable. Jordan says he didn’t waste any time digging, and he asks what she’s implying. She says she’s just stating facts. He started digging immediately after the election. Jim says he has all the proper permits, and she says she doesn’t think the Faultline cares about permits. Olivia says it takes deeper digging to reach a Faultline; like if you’re digging for natural gas – she saw it on PBS. Jim offers to help in any way he can, and leaves the station. Ned tells Jordan that he gets she doesn’t like Jim, but now is not the time. The city is in chaos and people are hurting. They have to pull together as a community, and figure out who to blame later.

Dante and Franco go back to The Floating Rib. Dante says Drew is still breathing, and his pulse is steady. Franco says, good; that means they can wait. Dante is like, no it doesn’t. Franco says he gets it. He was pinned under a file cabinet for a couple of hours, but Drew will be mad if they screw it up and he’s paralyzed. A light falls from the ceiling, and Dante says if they wait any longer, and the building collapses, he’ll be dead.

Finn tells Kim that Oscar is going to be okay, but Kim says she wants him admitted for observation. Amy puts him on the list. Kim sits next to his bed, and says he did good. He’s strong and brave, and hung in there. He says his dad saved him.

Franco and Dante can’t get the door to budge. Franco thinks they should call the fire department, but Dante doesn’t think they have time. They talk about what they can use for leverage.

Jason and Sam jump out of the trailer door in slow motion.

Kim tells Oscar that all his life, she said she was the only parent he needed. She wonders if she made the wrong choice. His father could have been there all along. Josslyn comes in. She says Amy told her that he would be all right, but she wanted to see for herself. Kim tells her to stay, and gives her the seat, saying she’ll be back in a few minutes. Josslyn tells Oscar that she spent hours wanting to be with him, and now that she is, she doesn’t know what to say. The only reason he’s there is because he gave her his jacket, and it must have kept her warm enough, but at his expense. She thanks him for saving her. She hopes there isn’t a next time, but if there is, she’ll save him right back. Kim listens, and tears up. She walks away, and Julian follows her.

Franco uses his own legs as leverage. Dante pulls Drew out, but Franco is stuck.

Jim sees Elizabeth, and says he guesses she didn’t make it down the aisle. She says there was an earthquake, and things didn’t go as planned. He hopes he didn’t overstep, but they seemed to make each other happy. Elizabeth says they do. She and Franco are still getting married. They just need to pick a new date.

TJ tells Alexis that they were in front of their old building when the earthquake hit. They ran for cover, but Molly got pinned under an awning that fell. Julian showed up, and helped move the awning and carry her to the hospital. He doesn’t think she would have made it without Julian. Molly nods in agreement.

Kim cries in the locker room. Julian asks if she’s okay. She says she’s getting there. Oscar was treated for hypothermia, but he’ll be okay. Julian asks if those are tears of relief, and she says, mostly. Drew was trapped during the aftershock, and they had to leave with Oscar. Rescuers are getting him, but the building is unstable.

Dante asks Franco to hand him the crowbar. Franco is like, are you kidding? but Dante says he can’t hold the door and reach it at the same time. Franco manages to get it, and Dante props the door up with it. They both slide out before it falls.

Something explodes near Jason and Sam.

Franco and Dante carry Drew out.

Jason asks if Sam is okay. She thinks so. They look longingly at each other.

Drew is brought to the hospital. Finn says he has multiple contusions, and possible internal injuries. There’s no cubicle, so Finn examines him in the hallway. Dante tells them he was trapped under a freezer door. Finn asks how they got him out, and Franco says, physics. Drew asks about Oscar.

Josslyn tells Oscar it’s weird how things she thought were important don’t matter. She thought she would literally die if she didn’t wear that dress to the dance, and it got ruined by asshat Troy. She thought that was a tragedy, but a tragedy is an earthquake. A tragedy is being stuck in a freezer. A tragedy is after all this, if he’s not okay. Oscar smiles and opens his eyes. She tells him that she’ll get a doctor, but he asks her not to leave.

Kim tells Julian that she has to pull it together; she can’t stop shaking. Julian holds her, saying everything will be okay. She says he doesn’t know that, but he says they’ll hope for the best. Alexis comes in, and Kim goes back to Oscar. Alexis says not that it’s her business, but is Kim all right? Julian says Oscar was injured, but he’ll be okay. He asks about Molly, and Alexis says she’s doing very well, thanks to him. He says it’s no big deal, but Alexis says TJ claimed he couldn’t have gotten her out without Julian’s help. She thanks him. He asks if there’s something else, and she says Molly asked to see him.

Ned and Jordan give a televised speech. Like people must be glued to their battery-run TVs. He says in accordance with the state and federal government, the governor has declared a state of emergency. Jordan says there’s a mandatory evacuation for Charles Street, and the adjacent neighborhoods. Ned lists the places set up for triage, and says if a missing person needs to be reported, there will be coordinators at the sites. It’s a difficult time, but they’re coming together and helping each other, and will continue to do so in the days ahead.

Oscar tells Josslyn that he feels floaty and relaxed. Kim comes in, and Oscar says sorry he scared her. She says she can’t yell at him for being a hero, but don’t do it again. He asks about Drew, and Amy comes in, saying his dad is asking about him. Kim tells them that Drew is by the nurses’ station, waiting for a room. He has some serious bruising, but should be fine. Oscar says Drew can have his bed, but Amy says that’s up to the doctor, and he needs to stay there. Kim leaves to check on Drew.

Franco tells Elizabeth that you had to be there. A door fell on Drew, and he and Dante got underneath it to lift it off. Dante gets a call, and thanks Franco. Franco is like, that just happened; Dante just thanked him. Elizabeth says he saved Drew’s life. Franco says he needs a shower, and feel free to join him. Elizabeth says don’t tempt her

Kim tells Drew that Oscar is fine, and asked her to check on him.

Sam needs to tell Jason something. She knew it was him at the pier and in her hospital room. She couldn’t say anything because couldn’t hurt him. Jason says it’s okay. Sam says every day, she had to tell herself the nightmare is over; he’s alive. She told him to keep his distance, but she didn’t mean it. Every day she was hoping to run into him, so she could hear his voice or see his eyes. She’s not supposed to say this, but she doesn’t care. She never stopped loving him.

Molly thanks Julian for saving TJ. He’s glad he was there, and she says, so is she. Alexis looks hopeful.

Franco showers. Elizabeth joins him.

Josslyn tells Oscar that when it’s over, she’ll have to apologize to the cop who evacuated her from The Floating Rib. She wanted to stay, but he dragged her away. The whole way there, she threatened to sue him. She told him the PCPD has a bias against her family, which is true, and that they have the best lawyer, which is also true. Oscar says she sounds fierce, and she says she was total bitch. He’s flattered that she was fighting to stay with him, and she says she’ll always fight for that.

Kim tells Drew that Oscar will be fine. She can’t believe he trapped himself in the freezer, and Drew says love makes you do stupid things. She says it’s easier in San Diego. If you want to kiss a girl, you can just take her for a walk on the beach. She tells him that she’s sorry she was unfair to him and Oscar. She didn’t give him a chance to be a father. He says he might not agree with some of her choices, but he knows she loves Oscar, and he’s a great kid. He has a chance to know him now, and he’s grateful. She says she is too. If it hadn’t been for him… He saved Oscar’s life. Drew says they both did.

Jason takes Sam’s hand, and says he loves her. He didn’t say it until now because he didn’t want to pressure her. Sam says she made such a mess of the whole situation, but Jason says none of them did this. It was done to them, and there’s no easy or clean way out. No matter what, he knows she loves him and he loves her. If that’s all it is, it’s enough.

Tomorrow, Nelle says it’s not possible, Sam tells Drew she was with Jason, and Carly tells Sonny that he has to deal with his father’s Alzheimer’s.

If Loving You is Wrong

Brad tells Alex that she told him Dr. Raston switched the DNA tests. She lied to him again. Alex is like, homina-homina, and Dr. Raston says to tell the truth; she didn’t say it and she didn’t do it. Alex admits she lied. She just wanted Brad to calm down. He tells her to stay away from him. He’s done.

Randal says he’s confused. Did she do it or not do it? Dr. Raston says she didn’t do anything. Randal says he and his lawyer are going to burn some asses. He’s going to sue her. Dr. Raston wisely leaves. Randal tells Alex he has a degree; he’s a master in psychological warfare. He tells her to give up. She says she can’t beat him at anything, and he’s glad she finally sees that. He asks if the baby is his, and Alex says of course; he looks just like him. Can we please name the baby before he’s in kindergarten? Randal asks why lie, and Alex says she already said she’s sorry. He asks if Marcie’s baby is his. Alex says yes, and he asks how she knows. She tells him to check the dates. She points out where Marcie is, and tells him to go cause hell for someone else. She’s also done. He tells her skedaddle back home – really, he used that word – and he’ll meet her in the shed later. Don’t keep him waiting. He has someone else waiting for him.

Randal slips into Marcie’s room. She tells him that he needs to leave. He says he needs to check on his wife. He asks what’s wrong? Her body can’t handle the stress? She starts breathing heavy, and he asks why she miscarries all these babies; what’s wrong with her body? She tells him to leave. He says he’s there to encourage her. She’s going to have this one, and he’ll be healthy and happy. He asks what they’re naming him, and she says, Brad. He tells her it’s his, and they’re naming him Randal. Marcie insists it’s not his. Randal says, he’s mine. She wants him to leave, and he says we can’t always get what we want. Thanks for the Rolling Stones earworm, Randal. He says he finally got his child though. Marcie tells him it’s not his baby, and he says that’s not what he heard from Alex. She says they both know how honest Alex is, but he says he did some counting, and figured out the baby is his. He’s been having wonderful dreams abut his babies being raised by Daddy Randal. Marcie tells him to keep on dreaming. He says he’s stopping by Larry’s office, and Marcie says that he signed the papers; let her go. Randal says he didn’t sign them; who told her that? She says she saw them, and tells him get out. The light bulb comes on over Randal’s head, and he remembers signing something else for Larry. Too late to argue with Larry now.

Lushion goes into the interrogation room, and asks Kelly how the visit with Justice was. She says, too short, and he asks if she’s okay. She doesn’t know how she feels. He tells her to hang on, and she asks for how long? He says as long as it takes. Kelly says her son deserves better than her, and Lushion tells her not to talk like that. She starts crying, and says she can still see Travis and smell his blood. Lushion tells her to stop talking. He has someone who wants to see her. Pull it together.

Natalie – who has a big hand in this whole mess – comes in, and asks how Kelly is. She says Kelly doesn’t look so good, and Kelly still has enough of a sense of humor to say, thanks. Natalie says that’s not what she meant; she doesn’t look like herself. Her hair is still totally fabulous though. Kelly says she’s floating above, like she’s not there. She gives Natalie a paper, saying it’s a thank you letter. Natalie says no thanks necessary, but Kelly says she’s been a good friend and she’s grateful for her taking Justice. She tells Natalie to wait until later to read it. Lushion comes back, and Kelly thanks him. He says he’s going to get her out. Kelly doesn’t know how. Carl showed her what the DA has, and it’s bad. Lushion says she’ll get out, but she says she did it; she killed him. He tells her that he needs her to stop talking in there. Kelly wants to lie down, and Natalie promises to be back. Kelly says she loves them both, and Natalie says they love her too. Lushion walks out with Natalie, saying he’ll e back in a second.

Natalie tells Lushion maybe it wasn’t a good idea for Justice to see Kelly just yet. She thinks they should keep an eye on her, and Lushion says she’s monitored 24/7. He goes back to work, and Esperanza asks how Natalie’s visit was. Natalie says she’s worried, and asks if Esperanza is okay. She says she’s fine, but Natalie doesn’t buy it. Esperanza says she feels silly talking about it, but she’s been calling Steven and he’s not picking up. Natalie asks, didn’t she tell him that she didn’t want to talk to him? Esperanza admits she told him it was over, but he should still answer his calls; she thinks it’s rude. Natalie asks if they’re doing this when Kelly has such problems. Esperanza is afraid Eddie threatened Steven. Natalie tells her to move on. I’m distracted by Esperanza’s strange white highlights.

Brad comes back to Marcie’s room, and Marcie thanks him for staying. He was hoping Randal didn’t find her. She says Alex told him she was there, and that the baby is his. Brad says he’s done; he’s leaving and not going back. She lied about the doctor. He gave her a chance to tell the truth, and she lied again. He’s coming back to their place if she doesn’t mind. She says, of course not, and he asks if her boyfriend Ian will be okay with it. She says he’s not her boyfriend, and Brad says he seems protective and obviously likes her. Marcie wonders if he likes her enough to commit a crime. Brad asks if she wants him to murder Randal, but she says he got the divorce papers signed. That’s not like Randal. Brad says at least she’s divorced. She says if it’s not true, Randal will just be madder and worse to deal with. Marcie suddenly cramps, and tells Brad to get the doctor.

Esperanza needs to talk to Lushion. She’s genuinely concerned for Steven. Eddie knows what time he left her house. Lushion asks if she thinks Eddie did something. She doesn’t know, but they both know Eddie. Lushion says Steven can take care of himself, and he doesn’t think Eddie would do something. Esperanza says Steven isn’t answering his phone. Lushion says if he calls and Steven answers, she’ll feel some kind of way, but she insists she won’t. Lushion calls Steven, who picks up. He says he’s just seeing what Steven is up to, and Steven says he’s playing golf. Steven asks what’s going on, and Lushion says he’s got to go. Steven knows something is up, and then says, she’s listening, isn’t she? Lushion says, goodbye. Esperanza says he played the game, and she fell for it. She wonders if they talked about it, and breezes out, thanking Lushion. He says, this is why people should not have work flings.

Randal busts into Ian’s office, asking, where is he? Ian says he’s still out, and Randal asks, out where? Ian offers Randal a seat, and Randal asks if he looks like he’s in the mood for a damn seat. The SOB tricked him. He came to the house, had him sign something, and now the divorce papers are signed. Ian says that would be unethical; Larry wouldn’t do something like that. Randal says he did it, and now he’s divorced. Ian asks if that’s a bad thing, and Randal says, damn right. Ian asks, how so? and Randal says it’s not about divorce; it’s about revenge. He tells Ian the papers were filed a few hours ago, and Ian says maybe it’s for the best. He’s a smart, attractive guy. He could find another woman. Randal tells him to go to hell, and tell Larry to call him or he’ll be back, and he won’t be alone. He has friends everywhere. Ian says threats don’t go over too well around there, and Randal says he can back it up. Ian says he’ll be waiting. Randal messes with Ian’s tie before he leaves, because he’s fourteen.

Lushion goes to the box truck. He bangs on it, and asks if anyone is in there. He gets silence, and opens it, finding dead Larry. He calls for an ambulance – stat – and says, damn you, Eddie.

Alex arrives home, and calls Esperanza before she goes in. Esperanza asks what’s wrong, and Alex says she just needed to talk. She says she’s tired. What if she just gives in; gives him what he wants. Esperanza asks if she’s talking about custody of the baby, but Alex says that will never happen. Esperanza isn’t following, and Alex says she’s rambling. She’ll call back later.

In the hallway, Brad asks how Marcie is, and Dr. Raston says, it’s bad news; she lost the baby. Brad says it’s going to devastate her. He’d thought she was doing well. The doctor says the test they were waiting on was the one that told them they were trouble, but it happened before the results came back. Brad thanks her, and she says she’s sorry. She’s sorry about everything. Brad says, onward and upward. What is he? A Boy Scout? Dr. Raston thinks he should be there when she tells Marcie, and he says he’ll stay.

When they walk into Marcie’s room, she says she knows that look. Dr. Raston says she’s sorry; Marcie lost the baby. Marcie wants to go home, but the doctor says they need to keep her there. Marcie says Randal stressed her out; he wanted her dead. She repeats that she wants to go home. Brad says he’ll stay for a while, but she wants to be alone. When she’s by herself, Marcie bawls her eyes out.

At the hospital, Eddie tells Lushion he’d better have a good reason for calling him there. Lushion tells Eddie that they found him; take a look. It’s Larry, and he’s not so dead. Eddie says, damn, and Lushion says he’s awake and talking. He tells Eddie that kidnapping is a federal offense, and Eddie says he had nothing to do with it. Lushion says Larry told him, and wants Eddie in the room. Lushion also wants Eddie off his case, and Eddie says, too bad. He’s DEA.

Steven asks Larry what happened, and Eddie asks what happened in the truck? Steven asks how he knew Larry was in a truck, and Eddie says, lucky guess. Larry says he was playing sex games with a few people, and things got out of hand. Steven says, he wasn’t kidnapped? and Larry says, no, he wasn’t. Lushion gives Eddie a look, and Steven says they have no business here. Larry says, sorry about that, and asks to speak with Eddie for a moment.

Eddie asks how Larry is feeling. Larry tells him that he’s going to get even. Eddie says Larry started it, and Larry says Eddie went too far. Eddie says, no, he did. Larry says, okay, playa. He’ll be waiting; it’s coming. I’ll be looking forward to that.

When Eddie comes out, Lushion asks if he has something tell them. Eddie says to pop some popcorn and keep watching the Eddie show. He’s such a nut.

Randal pulls into his driveway. Alex walks over, and heads to the backyard. Randal asks where she’s going. Brad sees them, and keeps on driving. Randal follows Alex to the infamous shed, and tells her to get out. She closes the door. She tells him that she’s tired, and he says the weak are always tired. She says she is weak, and tired. He tells her get out, but she says he doesn’t mean that because he still loves her. He says she’s so wrong, and she asks why all the fire and passion? She’s tired of seeing him go through it, and tired of going through it herself. She’s just asking him one last time to please be done. Randal says she started it, and Alex says she knows it, but it doesn’t matter now. He tells her that she never apologized and meant it. She says she’s sorry for everything she’s ever done to him. She knows that sometimes he can be a real SOB, but she’s apologizing and hopes he can forgive her.

He says sometimes he doesn’t want to do it anymore either, and she says, then why? He says he thinks about the good times, and how much he loved her. Then he thinks about her and Brad. She tells him to hush. She knows, but it’s over; it’s done. They have a child to think about. She’ll let him see the baby; she’ll get him right now. Then they can really work on healing their friendships and families, and move forward. They can work through this.

Randal tells her to take her clothes off. Alex says that’s not why she came here. They’re not doing this right now. They have to fix this; that’s what’s important. She begs him, but he sinks down in front of her and starts pulling at her clothes. She asks if she’s smelling gasoline. Randal opens the door a crack, and smoke pours in. He can’t get the door open any further, and they start yelling. We see a crowbar keeping the door handles shut, and fire all around the place.

Natalie is sweeping up at the house. She sees her bag on the couch, and takes out the letter. She reads it, and grabs her phone. She calls Lushion. She tells him to check on Kelly. It’s a suicide note. Lushion runs to Kelly’s cell, and we see her feet hanging. He yells for help, as he tries to get her down. Let’s all say it together: Poor Lushion!

This was the finale, so no preview. They promised three huge surprises, and I guess we got them. Larry is alive, Randal and Alex might get burned alive, and Kelly might no longer be alive. We also had a couple of minor surprises. Steven was fine and playing golf, and Larry didn’t squeal on Eddie. I can’t wait to see what he has planned though.

Thanks to Tyler Perry for another great season of temptation!

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Kim gets into the freezer. Josslyn and Oscar are passed out. Kim tells Drew they have to get them out of there.

Carly can’t believe she’s stuck with Nelle. Nelle says she needs to know if the father of her baby is okay. Carly asks if she can’t call him Michael. Does she have to keep reminding her? Nelle says, if anything happened – but Carly interrupts, saying everyone is alive and well; they have to be. Because Carly says so.

Griff asks Michael if he lost consciousness. Michael says he’s been in and out. Griff tells him to follow his finger. He wants to do a CT scan. Sonny tells Michael that he knows he has a hard head, but he needs to be checked out. Michael says he needs to find out about Nelle and the baby.

Elizabeth talks to Franco, saying wherever he is, she’s right here. She feels in her heart that he’s doing everything he can to get back.

Franco asks if the weird old guy is still there. He gets silence, and yells for help.

Jason suggests Mike head over to the evacuation center, but he says he promised to help a guy who’s trapped. Jason tells him relax, and asks who and where?

Kim covers the kids. Josslyn comes to. Kim tells Drew to get her moving, while she works on warming up Oscar. Josslyn wonders why Oscar’s not waking up.

Michael says he’s okay, but Amy is like, get in the wheelchair.

Nelle tells Carly that Michael will come looking for her. Carly is sure he’s concerned about the baby, and Nelle says she hates it that he cares about her. Carly says he tolerates her, but does it in a nice way. Nelle says they share a child, and it’s a bond no one can break, not even her. Carly says one time she was trapped in an elevator in a burning building with Alexis, who she hated at the time. It was torture, but she never thought she’d miss those days. Nelle goes to look for bottled water, and doubles over. Carly asks what game she’s playing.

Mike says a guy needed his help. Jason tells Sam to take Mike to the evacuation center, and he’ll look around. Sam asks Mike to help her get back. Mike says he was on Post Street, but it looks different. Jason asks if that’s where he left the man, but Mike isn’t sure. He says he’ll help look, but Jason tells him to help Sam.

Elizabeth looks at the damage, and says, talk about a wedding disaster. Then again, they don’t lead predictable lives.

Franco bangs on the cabinet, and says, this sucks. He says the old man forgot. He hears someone, and asks what took so long, but it’s Jason.

Kim continues to work on Oscar. She asks Drew to get something to elevate his legs. Chase shows up, and tells them to evacuate. Kim says the kids are suffering from hypothermia, and they need an ambulance. Chase says he can call, but doesn’t know how long it will take them to get there. Drew tells him to take Josslyn, even though she doesn’t want to leave. Drew and Kim keep trying to to warm Oscar.

Nelle thinks she felt a contraction, and says it’s too soon. Carly tells her nice try. Nelle thinks something is wrong. Carly tells her sit, and asks how painful they are. Nelle says, painful, and Carly asks if they’re unpredictable. Nelle doesn’t know, she’s only had four. Carly says, irregular or regular, and Nelle tells her, irregular. She asks if she’s going into labor.

Mike and Sam stop at the church. Mike needs to stop and think. They see Elizabeth, and Sam asks if she’s okay. She says she’s waiting for Franco. Sam asks if he left her at the altar, but she doesn’t know where he is. She asks if it’s bad, and Sam tells her between there and Post Street is pretty bad. Mike remembers Elizabeth. Sam says they should get to the evacuation center, and Mike calls her sweet for looking after him when she should be with Jason. Elizabeth says she’ll watch out for Mike, and Sam leaves. Mike asks Elizabeth how Lucky is, and if he still plays guitar.

Jason acts like an a-hole, and just looks at Franco. Jason thought he was getting married, and Franco says he was on the way, but thought he should let a file cabinet fall on him first. He asks why Jason is there, and where’s the old man? He knows Jason hates him, and Jason says hate doesn’t begin to cover it. Franco says he needs to be somewhere. Jason is a man of honor. He’s trapped and helpless, and Jason can’t leave him. It’s against his code. Jason thinks this over.

Kim loses Oscar’s pulse.

At the hospital, Josslyn is annoyed with Chase, saying he didn’t need to walk her. He says they’ll send the earliest available ambulance for Oscar, but she says that could be hours. She sees Sonny, who asks if she’s okay. She explains what happened, and tells him this jerk dragged her away. Chase says she needs to be checked for hypothermia. Sonny tells Josslyn that Oscar is in good hands, but she says she wanted to be with him. It sounds dumb, but maybe he could sense it if she was there. Sonny says it’s not dumb, and asks Amy to check her for hypothermia. Josslyn tells Amy she was locked in a freezer; long story. Sonny asks Griff how Michael is doing, and Griff says he won’t stop asking about Nelle and the baby. Josslyn tells them that Nelle was working late at the gallery. Sonny says he’ll go, and if the doctor says it’s okay, Josslyn can sit with Michael.

Carly gives Nelle a bottle of water, and tells her to take small sips. She asks when was the last time Nelle had any, and tells her that she could be dehydrated. What she’s experiencing could be Braxton Hicks contractions, which are basically practice contractions. Nelle asks what if it’s real labor, and Carly tells her to stop stressing; it’s not good for the baby. Nelle says Michael is a good person, and wonders how he can possibly be hers. Carly says she asks herself that question every day; she’s just lucky. She tells Nelle to drink the water and try to breathe. Nelle asks if she means like in the childbirth classes she takes with Michael. Carly says yes, and tells her to stop talking, and just breathe.

Mike tells Elizabeth that she probably heard gossip about him having memory issues. He forgets things now and then, but he sure remembers her and Lucky. Elizabeth says they’re not married anymore. Mike asks, since when, and she says a long time. Before the earthquake, today was supposed to be her wedding day. Mike asks where the groom is, but Elizabeth doesn’t know. She says probably caught up in what’s happening. She asks Mike if he’s okay, and he says ever since the doctor said the name of what’s wrong, he’s been scared. Elizabeth asks what he’s scared of, and he says not just the forgetting. That’s bad enough, but it’s his son. He doesn’t want him looking at him the way he’s starting to. Elizabeth says Sonny loves him. He knows that, but tonight all he wanted was to go to a place he’d known before, where he felt safe, but it’s not there anymore. Dude, I feel your pain. A lot of my old NYC haunts are gone.

Franco asks if this is how it ends? Jason is just going to leave him. Jason says like he left Michael and Sam. Franco says he was different then, and Jason says so were they. Michael was seventeen, and trapped in prison when Franco sent someone to rape him. Franco says it wasn’t supposed to go that way, and Jason asks if it was supposed to go that way with Sam, how he made her think he’d raped her. Franco tells Jason that he sick. He literally had no control over what he was doing; the tumor was eating his brain. Jason says he’ll never forget what Franco did to them. He told Franco that he would pay. Now’s the time. Sam yells for Jason. She steps into the office, and sees Franco.

Jason says he’ll meet Sam outside. Franco tells her that Jason is going to be her hero and avenge her. She says she doesn’t want to be there. She doesn’t care about him – never did and never will – but she doesn’t need Jason to avenge her, and neither does Michael. They’ve made peace with it, and she doesn’t want to go backward and relive the hate. She doesn’t want that for him either. She’d rather see Franco live than keep the secret of how he died.

Mike tells Elizabeth that whatever the thing is he has, he sees faces he’s known like they’re old friends, then others he used to care about seem like strangers. Elizabeth can’t imagine how hard it is. Mike can’t either, and it’s happening to him. She says he’s lucky to have family that are happy to help him remember things. He says she was always a sweetheart, and impossible to forget. She says he’s still a charmer. He says, for now, but probably in time, he’ll forget her; at least that’s what they tell him. It’s a damn shame. He takes Elizabeth’s hand, and tells her not to go feeling sorry. He knows the score, and that’s half the battle. She guesses it is. I am so impressed with Max Gail. He brings tears to my eyes.

Carly asks Nelle about the contractions, and Nelle says they’ve stopped – for now. Maybe she was right. Carly explains that Braxton Hicks contractions were named after the doctor who first diagnosed them. Nelle says she still has a lot to learn about babies. Sonny calls out for Nelle, and Carly says they’re in there, but the door is stuck. He says he’ll find way in, and Carly says, they’re saved.

Chase sees Dante at the hospital. Josslyn comes out in what Amy calls “hospital couture,” since her clothes were damp from the freezer. She tells Josslyn that she can go home now, but she doesn’t want to go anywhere until she knows her brother and Oscar are okay. Amy explains to Dante that Michael is being treated for a concussion. Chase says that he found Josslyn and her boyfriend in a freezer, and Josslyn asks why he didn’t help Oscar. Chase says he’s on another assignment, and adds that Oscar’s mother is a doctor, and said he shouldn’t be moved. Dante says he’ll be back in an hour, and Josslyn tells him to make sure Oscar is okay.

Kim does CPR, saying she might need Drew’s help. Oscar begins to breathe, and has a pulse. They warm him up some more, and he opens his eyes. Kim tells him to stay with them.

Michael comes out. Josslyn hugs him, and asks how he’s feeling. He says he’ll live. Nelle and Carly come in with Sonny. Carly says they were stuck in the gallery; the earthquake messed up the security system, and they couldn’t open the door. Michael says he got a concussion, but he’s fine. Josslyn tells Carly about being trapped in the freezer, and how a cop came and dragged her out. She start to cry, saying she’s worried about Oscar. Carly holds her.

Kim tells Oscar that he gave her a scare. He says it was his stupid idea, and thanks her and Drew for finding them. Kim says they’re his parents, and they’ll always come for him.

Carly asks Amy to check Nelle. Nelle thinks she’s fine, but she’s concerned about Michael. Griff says Michael needs some quiet and rest. Michael says now that he knows Nelle and the baby are okay, he’s good. Carly suggests that Nelle go with Amy to be checked out. Sonny says everyone is accounted for except for Mike. The police are doing everything they can, but have a lot on their plate.

Mike asks Elizabeth who the lucky guy is, and she says the last person she expected to fall in love with, but he’s perfect for her. Mike says if he’s worthy of her love, he must be someone special. Chase shows up, and Mike tells him to go away. Mike says he knows him, and to leave him alone – he hasn’t done anything wrong. Chase says he’s trying to make sure everyone is safe. He’s not there to arrest him, but help him. He’s been instructed to find everyone and get them to safety. Mike says he guesses his grandson told Chase not to mess with him, and Chase says Dante gave him a real earful and Sonny is a very powerful man. Mike tells him not to forget it. He tells Mike his family is waiting at the hospital, but Mike will only go if Elizabeth can come. She tells him to go; she’s waiting for someone. Chase says he doesn’t think they’re coming, but she says she’ll take her chances; she insists on staying. Mike gives Chase a word of advice; never mess with a bride on her wedding day. Chase says it’s the wisest advice anyone has ever given him. He tells Elizabeth to be careful, and don’t stay too long.

Sam and Jason lift the cabinet, and Franco slides out. I guess nothing is broken? He thanks them, and limps out the door. Jason doesn’t know how Sam can just let him go like that. She says you can get stuck in the past, or accept what happened and choose to move on, living your best life. That’s what he taught her. Maybe she can teach him something. His hate for Franco can’t exist, and the pain can’t be there. If something happened, what would Jake say? When Jake is old enough to understand, it will be his choice, and how he chooses to deal is up to him. In the meantime… Jason says, gotta move on. Sam asks if he thinks he can, and he says he’ll try for her. She tells him she has to get to The Floating Rib. She looks around for a dog tag Danny gave her for Annabelle that must have fallen out of her pocket.

Elizabeth says, he’s not coming, but there he is. They embrace.

Mike sees Sonny at the hospital, and they hug. Mike tells Sonny that this time Sherlock Holmes here managed to respect his elders. Sonny says he owes Chase another one, and Chase suggests he keep an eye on Mike. Carly asks if she can take Michael home, but he has to be admitted for observation. He insists he just has a headache, but Griff says concussions are serious, and he needs to be monitored. They’re also keeping Nelle overnight as a precaution. Michael wants to check on her, but Carly says he needs to rest. Griff asks Amy to take him upstairs. Josslyn wants to wait for Oscar, and Carly tells her not to leave the ER.

Drew hears someone coming, and calls for help. Dante comes in, and says good, Oscar is awake. His girlfriend will be happy. Oscar asks if she’s okay, and Dante tells him that she is. Kim asks if he’s ready to get out, and Oscar says he wants to see Josslyn.

Jason finds the dog tag, Sam tells him to hang on to it; he has more pockets. Suddenly, everything starts to shake again.

Tomorrow, Ned says the city is in chaos, Molly is admitted to the hospital, and Jason and Sam slide around Jim’s office. Speaking of which, whatever happened to Jim? Hopefully, a brick knocked some sense into him.

The Haves and the Have Nots

When last we left, David told Hanna that he knows Benny buried Quincy in Candace’s backyard. If he doesn’t turn himself in, David is having him prosecuted for murder.

Hanna says she doesn’t know what he’s talking about, but David thinks she does. She tells him to talk to her son. He says he tried, but he was busy having sex with Veronica. He thinks Hanna is smarter than her son. Hanna tells him not to be insulting, and he says it’s just an observation. She says he needs to observe his ass elsewhere. David says Benny needs to do what’s right. She’s a good Christian woman and should convince him. He says Candace is at the root of this mess; she got both of their sons involved. He doesn’t understand how she can still claim Candace as her child, and she says the same way he stood by wicked-ass Veronica all those years.

Hanna tells David that she won’t talk to Benny, and is through talking to him. He needs to talk to Benny. David says, for God’s sake, and she says for Him and David’s trifling wife. She doesn’t trust or like him. He lied when he knew her son was innocent. She thought he cared when she saw him cry, but it was only the Holy Spirit convicting him of lying. He’s asking that her son tell the truth, and she says she wanted David to tell the truth, but he didn’t. He asks if it’s biblical, and she says, an eye for an eye. He says that’s rather Old Testament, and she says it’s the one she’s leaning on right now.

Benny walks up, and asks what the hell David is doing there. Hanna says telling her about his ass sleeping with Veronica. David tells Benny to turn his ass in to the police, or he will. He tells Benny the police are looking for him. Benny says the body is inadmissible. David says he sees Veronica is training him well. Benny tells David to get out before he pisses him off. David says he can make it difficult. He tells Hanna that Benny is hanging out with Mitch, who comes from a mob family. Benny tells him again to get out. It dawns on Hanna that David wants to get her son into jail to get Jeffrey out, and tells him to get his trifling ass out; it’s about to get ugly. He says it’s already ugly. He tells Benny that Veronica isn’t to be trusted. Benny says he can’t trust David either. David finally leaves.

While flying in a tiny plane, Landon tells Charles that they’re looking good, but they’re behind in the red states. They have to turn the tide. He asks why they’re out here, and Charles says, they’re trying to turn the tide. Landon noticed Georgia on the list, and Charles says he’s trying to get more support there. Landon thinks Atlanta might be better than Savannah. He asks if Charles wants to see Candace, and Charles says he thought he made that clear. Landon says he’ll set it up.

Hanna tells Benny that he lied to her again. When she saw him at the hospital holding Veronica’s hand, she knew it. Benny says she called and wanted to talk about a case. He went to her house, and one thing led to another. Hanna says he’s talking like a stupid-ass man who doesn’t know how to keep it in his pants. She wishes his father had taught him morals and values. She thought she put sense into him when he was young. Benny insists he told Veronica it can’t happen again, and Hanna says he told her that last time. She asks what is it with the mob, and Benny says Mitch’s family is in the mob, but he’s not. Hanna wonders why David knows, and Benny says they had a run-in with each other. Hanna has one more question; what about the truck? Benny says he’s getting it on a lease. She says he’s spending time with Veronica, and now he’s talking about a truck. What credit does he have? She says he’s lying to her like about everything else. She has enough with Candace, and can’t take it from him. She says when she prays, she always finds out the truth, so he might as well tell her. Benny says he can’t do this. He’s just trying to get enough to get out of this woman’s house; it’s not theirs. Hanna says he’s following his sister’s path; she’s a liar, and whatever she has to in order to get ahead. It ain’t right; she can feel it in her spirit. He asks her to drop it, and she says it’s done.

Candace finds Landon waiting in her room. She asks what he’s doing there. He asks if that’s any way to talk to the man who got her out of jail. She says she doesn’t need him or Charles, and Landon says Charles doesn’t like to lose. She says she’s not an election or a prize. Landon says he’s going to win. Candace says she doesn’t care. Landon does; it’s his job. Charles likes her, and he’s not doing well personally. His debates have been off since he met her. (Really? It didn’t seem that way.) Landon doesn’t know what she does to men, but it messes them up. Charles is happy with her, but Candace says she won’t be used as a tool to prop him up. Landon has no problem with that, but has a problem with her not seeing it. She tells him get out. He thinks she should show some gratitude, and stop robbing old senators. It’s stupid and beneath her. Candace says this is who she is. She grew up in a tough place; it’s what they do. He needs to stop trying to help her and change things; this is her. He says it’s her pathetic way of dealing with her son’s death. She wants everyone to feel her pain. He tells her to cut the bullsh*t. There’s a better life waiting if she just changes a little. She wonders what she’d look like in the White House, and Landon says politics is the same thing. They screw people over, but are just dressed better. She tells Landon that she won’t see Charles. Landon says he’ll tell him, but don’t’ be surprised if he shows up.

Veronica yells for Melissa, finding her in the kitchen. She asks where her alcohol went, and Melissa says Veronica drank it all. Veronica asks if she’s drunk, and Melissa says she’s been drinking, but she’s not drunk. Veronica says she’s pregnant, and Melissa says she’s sure Veronica’s mother must have been drinking, and see how she turned out? Veronica grabs her, and drags her across he kitchen. Melissa throws up in the sink. Veronica tells her not to do it again, and Melissa says Veronica thinks she can keep her there to incubate her grandchild. Veronica says she won’t let Melissa harm the baby. Melissa says if Veronica thinks she’s going to let her do to the child what she did to her and Jeffrey, she’s sadly mistaken. Veronica tells her don’t do it again, and clean the sink. Melissa says she’s not cleaning anything, and Veronica smacks her. Melissa says Veronica thinks she can control her. Veronica says Melissa had one thing to do – have sex with Jeffrey – and she couldn’t do it. Melissa says he’s gay, and Veronica insists Melissa is the problem. Melissa screams, he’s gay, and says she can’t change it. Veronica says, watch her. Melissa is the problem. She’s trying to be nice, but Melissa is making it difficult. It could be much worse. Right now, she has creature comforts, space, and freedom, but she could lose all of that. Keep it up, and she will. Melissa says Veronica will never see baby, but Veronica says, quite the contrary. She will. Melissa wishes Veronica had died in the accident. Veronica says Melissa better be glad she’s not bruised or burned. She never forgets.

At the hotel, Jim is enjoying his time in bed with Gia, when Kathryn walks in. She says just as she thought, another whore. Gia asks who she is, and Kathryn says his wife. Gia didn’t know he was married, and Kathryn asks if the ring didn’t give it away. She tells Gia to get her clothes on and get out, unless she wants to get shot. Gia grabs her stuff she grabs her stuff and jets. Jim yells that Gia owes him. Kathryn says she owes him too; she should shoot him and put him out of his misery.

Kathryn tells Jim that they have a problem. He says they always do. She tells him it’s serious. The DA came to visit. They have the bullets, and there’s a match between Amanda and Jennifer. Jim says he should have known. He tries to call Sarah, but gets voicemail. Kathryn asks what they’re going to do. Jim doesn’t know, since it’s hard to think from a hotel room. He says the first thing is to testify against her. Maybe it’s not the right time for her to want a divorce; should he sign papers now? She repeats that it’s serious, and he says her cutting off his credit isn’t? He tells her to reinstate the money back into his account, then they’ll have something to talk about. She needs him more than she ever did in her life. Kathryn picks up the phone.

Gia goes to Candace’s hotel room, and tells her that the john’s wife was talking about shooting her. Candace tells her to calm down and breathe. Gia says she almost died, and Candace says, stop being dramatic, and save it for the johns. Gia says his wife jut came right in. Candace gives her a bottle of something from the minibar, and asks what happened. Gia says she just came in and said she was going to shoot her. Candace asks if she had a gun, and Gia says, no. Candace says she needs to toughen up. Gia isn’t sure she wants to be in this business, but Candace says, it’s her. She tells Gia to take a shower and find another john. Gia says she can’t do this, but Candace tells her that she can and will. She asks questions about the john, and realizes it was Jim. She asks if liked her, and how much he paid. Gia says he didn’t; she ran. Candace tells her never leave money behind. Even if his wife has an Uzi, always get the money. She tells Gia that Jim doesn’t like weak; he’s a dog eat dog kind of guy. She has to go back and get the money, and Gia asks what about his wife. Candace says she’s a joke. She can, and will, walk past that bitch. Gia says, okay; she’s got this.

Kathryn talks to Lloyd, and has him transfer $10 million to Jim’s account. Kathryn asks what they’re going to do, and he says he likes having obedient Kathryn back. No more nonsense about a divorce. There’s a knock at the door, and Gia comes in. Kathryn asks what part of get the hell out, bitch, she didn’t understand. Does she want to get shot? Gia just wants what’s hers; her money. Jim says he’ll meet at the bar, but she insists he give it to her now. Kathryn tells Jim to just let her shoot Gia. Jim gives Gia the money and she leaves. Kathryn says now that he’s done paying bills and whores, and he interrupts, saying he earned the money as a lawyer and on the bench. Kathryn laughs. He says they need to take a field trip. They’re going to talk to Wyatt about testifying. Jim will worry about the DA. They have to talk to their son. He tells her that she can go now or stay, but she’s not staying in that nasty-ass room. He says, thank you for small favors.

Wyatt is at the police station filing a report, and sees David. David says he’s there to see his son. Wyatt asks what’s going on, and David tells Wyatt to come with him.

Landon’s nameless friend tells him, welcome to Chicago. She’s working on Candace. Landon doesn’t get it, but she says they’re there to serve for the pleasure of the future president. She asks what’s going on with him, and he tells her not to say she told him so, but she does. She asks if he’s in love with Charles, and he tells her that he is. He doesn’t want to be, and she says she didn’t want to be involved with a nameless senator. I think it’s very appropriate, since she’s a nameless friend. Landon doesn’t know what to do, and she tells him, do nothing. Charles is a straight man, and if he did something it wouldn’t be good, so don’t do anything. Landon says Charles likes to drink, and they meet late at night when he’s wearing his PJ’s with no shirt. She tells him if anything happens, it will end badly. If Charles drinks, Landon has to drink less. She’s fallen into this trap. They part company.

Gia tells Candace that she got the money; the wife was bluffing. Candace says they usually are 99% of the time. Gia is excited about the money, but Candace takes it, and gives her one bill out of the pile. Candace says that’s her cut; now shower while she thinks of a plan for him. He’s a huge score. Gia says Candace took most of money, and Candace tells her, welcome to having a pimp. She wouldn’t make any money if her face was cut up. Candace tears the bill she gave Gia in half, and says complain again. She tells Gia to get her ass in the shower. She counts the money, and says, that’s all he paid? They have to talk.

David sees Jeffrey in the interrogation room. He tells Jeffrey that he’s working on getting him out. He knows it’s hard, but it will be okay. Jeffrey says David has no idea. David tells him that he’s brought someone in as his legal assistant. Wyatt walks in, and says, what the hell? Jeffrey says he didn’t do anything, and Wyatt asks why he’s there. David tells them nothing is supposed to be recorded there, but be careful what they talk about. He says he’ll be back.

Jeffrey tells Wyatt that Veronica had him arrested for Quincy’s murder. Wyatt wonders how she did that, and Jeffrey says he can’t say too much. He asks how Wyatt is, saying he seems fidgety. Why is he worried? Jeffrey is the one locked up. Wyatt asks if his dad will be able to get him out, and Jeffrey hopes so. Wyatt thinks it’s crazy that Jeffrey’s mom would do that, and tells him it will be all right. Jeffrey will testify against his mom, and he’ll testify against his parents, and they’ll be free. Wyatt has $9 million, and Jeffrey can come and live with him. Jeffrey has always been there for him, and he’ll do the same. Jeffrey says he’s tired, and Wyatt says, don’t be. Jeffrey can’t believe his mom did this to him, but Wyatt says he’ll give him money; they can move to Cali if he wants. they’re in the same boat. Jeffrey says she won’t accept him for who he is, and Wyatt says it will be okay Jeffrey thanks him. Wyatt gives him a hug, and… wait for it… Yep. Justin walks in.

Next time, the finale – Jeffrey says he doesn’t belong to Justin, Justin says he’s in love with Jeffrey, Veronica looks amazing with a new hairstyle, Candace tells Veronica she’s unstable, and Veronica asks Candace for David’s address.

She says her boyfriend is very supportive, but she’s still had vaginal rejuvenation. LisaR thinks Camille needs to see how beautiful she really is; she’s a stripper at heart. They try on some lingerie costumes. Camille says LisaR has sexy down, and is helping her feel comfortable in her new body. In her interview, LisaR says the way to a man’s heart isn’t through his heart. She tells Camille she’s going to have a good time this weekend.

Kyle meets Erika for lunch. Kyle says her show proposal, Glass Houses, was bought by ABC, and she’s trilled seeing it in print. She asks Erika how Tom is doing and confuses the bar association with an actual bar. Erika asks if she’s worked things out with LVP, and Kyle says absolutely. Erika wonders how blown out of proportion it is. Other people get involved, and it gets out of hand. They wonder what they should get LVP for her birthday, and discuss getting her a flamingo.

Dorit is going over her line-sheets for the swimwear, and tells PK that she came home to a host of email. PK says he met with the swimwear team, and she has a couture range of swimwear, but he thinks it should be available to everyone. In her interview, she says he’s not a fashion designer, and doesn’t know what’s needed. For her, it’s creation and a part of her soul. He doesn’t like the name Nova he thinks it should be more general, like Beverly Beach, an imaginary place where they’d like to go and make out. Dorit didn’t expect him to turn everything upside down. She says it’s like if she changed Boy George’s tour schedule without checking with PK.

She tells PK about Kyle thinking she’d badmouthed LVP, and coming to her rescue. Dorit says she had no bad intention, and thinks they should get over it. PK wants her to make sure things are smoothed over, since LVP’s birthday is coming up.

Erika, Teddi and Kyle ride together to Camille’s charity event. Teddi hates driving. Kyle says it’s when she does most of her thinking. LVP calls, saying she’s on her way, and asks if they are too. She wonders if LisaR is coming, but she’s sick. They discuss what they’re wearing.

Camille welcomes everyone to her event. She shows the ladies her fragrance line. The profits from the new fragrance go to the women’s cancer foundation. LVP arrives, and says she loves the fragrances. They’re also in gorgeous containers Like Jay Strongwater trinket boxes. She wonders if they have something for insecure women. Dorit arrives last – no surprise. She wants to repair the relationship with LVP, and says she’ll inject LVP with so much Dorit love, she’ll explode. LVP needs space and time to make it work again. Erika asks what LVP is doing for her birthday. LVP says she’s going for a ride on her horse, having lunch with her husband, and getting ready for the party.

Dorit talks about when she was pregnant and not drinking. She would listen to other people, and wonder if she talked the same sh*t when she had a drink. Erika is like, yep. Erika asks if she and LVP have resolved things, and Dorit says they’re family. She tells Erika that she and LVP had a conversation in the park, and the next time she saw her, LVP was mad at her. She tells the group if anyone else wants to chime in, now’s the time. Teddi says she would be hurt if it was her. The way Dorit spoke about the situation would have hurt her feelings. Dorit acts ignorant, but Teddi says they’ve already discussed it multiple times. She shared the information with Kyle about how it would make her feel, and Kyle told LVP, and that’s all. She’s done talking.

Dorit doesn’t understand how Teddi can be done with something. She involved herself in the chain of events, and made it sound worse than it was. In her interview, Erika tells us that you can’t get in the fight, and then back up when sh*t hits the fan. Dorit says Kyle was made to believe she’d been bashing LVP. Erika thinks the word bashing is strong. In her interview, Erika says everything would be resolved if cards were on the table. Teddi needs to take ownership. In her interview, Teddi says it’s easy to blame other people for your sh*t, but you have to take ownership. If it bothers you, don’t say sh*t you regret.

The ladies have dinner, and Camille makes a speech. She talks about having cancer, and how it runs in her family. Her mother is in the hospital. This is for her mom, and all the women battling the disease. She thanks them for coming. LVP says it’s her pre-birthday night, and Ken wants to be romantic. Dorit walks her out, and asks to talk. They sit on a sofa, and LVP tells Dorit that she’s being overly dramatic. Dorit wants to make sure they’re in a good place. LVP says she’s a little hurt, but okay. Dorit wonders what Teddi said, but LVP says Teddi isn’t a guilty party; she wans to make that clear. Dorit says she’s been bearing the brunt of what Teddi said to Kyle. LVP says what Dorit said about her being a needy friend wasn’t exactly a compliment.

LVP has to go, but Dorit gets stupid, pinning LVP down on the sofa, and saying she loves her. LVP says straddling her does nothing, and Dorit says she wants to make sure their friendship is secure. LVP says she’s the one who’s sounding needy. Dorit says she loves LVP, and their friendship means the world to her. LVP says it’s fine, and she’s going, escaping Dorit’s grasp. Dorit repeats that she loves LVP, and LVP says, just not enough, before disappearing out the door. In her interview, Dorit hopes forcing herself on LVP makes her realize she didn’t mean to do anything to hurt her.

Teddi arrives at work, and meets with client Dani. In her interview, she swears that accountability coach isn’t a made up job. Every one of her clients is a success story. She motivates them, and makes sure they work out and eat healthy; she’s on their ass. She and Dani get into some sweat-intensifying suits, and slip into things that look like sleeping bags. Teddi asks Dani why she reached out, and Dani says she was working out, but knew she needed something different. In her interview, Teddi says accountability isn’t just her job; it’s who she is. She’s direct to a fault, but doesn’t make excuses for her actions. She thinks Dorit isn’t taking ownership. Dani asks if this counts as a workout. Teddi laughs, but says no.

Erika meets with assistant Mikey, and some game developers. Erika Jayne is digital. She’s going to be a character in the Kim Kardashian: Hollywood game. In her interview, she explains that you arrive in Hollywood with nothing – her old life when she first came. She worked at a mall and a struggled to pay rent. It wasn’t easy, especially being a single mom. She came up the hard way like Joan Crawford; it wasn’t a joke. She gets teary when she sees her character. It is really cute. The developers are excited. Erika says it’s a great marker of success, and apologizes for having an emotional moment.

Kevin Lee sets up what will probably be an amazing party at Villa Rosa. LVP asks him if it’s Vanderpump ready; she’s going to have a very scrutinizing audience. In her interview, she says some people think she’s a control freak because she plans her own birthday parties, but they’re really more for her friends; something gorgeous they can come to. O.M.G. The shrimp cocktails are massive and a work of art. LVP tells the head bartender, or whatever he is, about Dorit’s distress over the wrong glass at Teddi’s house. They settle on a green tumbler to serve her wine in. The bartender says, sorry, everything else was dirty.

Teddi says the swans aren’t digging her. Everything looks unbelievable and totally English garden. Flowers everywhere, flowing gazebo curtains, greenery hanging all over the place. Teddi sips champagne as LVP tells her about the tumbler. Dorit arrives, and Teddi is dying laughing when she comes out with the tumbler. Dorit plays along, screeching that she won’t drink rosé out of this glass. In her interview, she says, very funny, and drinks wine out of a short glass. This was pretty good, and more lighthearted than usual.

They sit in an enclosed porch for cocktails. The table is exquisite, with a silver bowl of lemons and limes. I want to cry, and wonder how I can get LVP to adopt me. Erika gives LVP a scarf. Maybe Hermes, definitely expensive. Teddi gives her a bareback pack so she can ride without a saddle. It’s saddle shaped, but like a shag rug. LVP calls Teddi her new best friend. Giggy! Teddi says Dorit had better bring her A-game. Dorit gives LVP a bracelet with an eclipse on it. LVP asks if it represents the eclipse in their relationship. In her interview, Erika says every insult is sheathed in a joke. Camille gives her a headpiece from the lingerie store. Black mesh bunny ears with a lace veil. It looks like something Lady Gaga might wear. Camille also gives Dorit a gift – a ball-gag. Giggy! Erika says she loves it, and Dorit says she doesn’t think she can use it. Since she’s either pretending not to get it, or not getting it, Camille tells her she opens her mouth too much. In her interview, Camille says she considered a muzzle, but the gag was sexier. Maybe Dorit will learn to shut up.

They sit down to eat. Kyle arrives late, coming from an event she’d previously committed to. I get impressed by the shrimp cocktails all over again. LVP says it’s been an amazing year. She calls Teddi, Teddi Bear, and Dorit doesn’t look happy. PK says she can go from Teddi Bear to Teddi Bitch in an instant, and Kyle wonders what LVP calls the rest of them. Camille tells Kyle about the ball-gag, saying it’s not offensive; not like a strap-on. Dorit can’t believe she’s still harping on that joke, and Camille asks why this isn’t a joke? In her interview, Erika says if Dorit doesn’t laugh this off, she’ll crucify her. We flash back to the beginning of Pantygate. Camille tells Dorit not to take it seriously, and PK tells Dorit to move on. I can’t believe Dorit is being such a brat and pouting.

GIGGY! LVP tells everyone that she got Giggy eight years ago today. Giggy gives her Cartier earrings to the tune of seventy-five grand. Dorit tells her to hand them over, and LVP says she might have done that two weeks ago, but now she’ll have to wait. In her interview, Kyle says she told Dorit it was only a matter of time. LVP has finally found a way of punishing Dorit. The guests toast to the birthday girl, and LVP says she’s going to PUMP later if they want to join her. Dorit says she’s not in; not today. She thinks they’ve celebrated well enough. In her interview, she says she didn’t expect to be a punching bag. She’s never seen this side of LVP. Oh, grow up. She can certainly dish it out.

Kevin brings out the cake, decorated with pink icing roses. tall pink candles, and a ballerina. In her interview, Dorit says she was poked at nonstop, and she’s done. She tells LVP it was beautiful, thanks her, gets up, and heads for the door. Camille tells her not to forget this, holding up the ball-gag. PK goes after her, and LVP follows. She asks Dorit if she’s okay, and Dorit says, great, wonderful. LVP asks if it was the ball-gag, telling her it was a joke. Dorit says it was funny, and it’s all good, but keeps walking. In her interview, LVP says she will give a dig in jest, but she was sending a message that the relationship has taken a different turn.

LVP attends a photo shoot at Bella magazine for her jewelry. She says clearly, they got it wrong last time. We flash back Dorit complaining about the pictures taken of her. Pandora says she looked amazing. LVP says she made such a big deal about not looking great, the photographer pulled shots, and it’s a shame.

This season, Edwin drives like a madman, the girls step in mud, Erika talks about being kidnapped, a trip to Berlin. LisaR in underwear, Erika does a show at a sex club, one of LVP’s pets dies (not Giggy, thank God), lots of fights, and Erika calls Teddi a crybaby.

🗽 Bethenny & Fredrick is worth watching. As with Million Dollar Listing New York, the properties are lustworthy, and their personalities larger-than-life. Tonight, Bethenny went nuts on Fredrick, spewing venom like when she called Luann a slut in the Berkshires. What it boiled down to was her not being used to partnering in this sort of business. She kept getting surprised by figures that were not included in the budget, and called Fredrick a snake oil salesman. Who says that unless they’re in an old movie? Anyway, poor Fredrick was taken aback, and got very emotional during a subsequent talk with her. He told her that he might have confused her, but never lied to her. She thanked him for understanding where her viciousness was coming from.

👃 I wanted to show you the beautiful fragrance line from Camille’s event, but when I put Camille Grammer Fragrance into Google images, I got this. You figure it out.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Oscar and Josslyn go to the freezer so they can be alone. Everything starts to shake. The party is rocking, and not in a good way. The Quartermaine mansion is shaking, Jim’s office is shaking, the church is shaking, and Sonny’s place is shaking. Everyone ducks and runs for cover.

Sonny finds Michael knocked out. Things are flying and falling everywhere. What did Jim hit during his excavation?

Elizabeth asks if everyone is all right at the church. Ava calls for Kiki. She’s fine, but Ava is bleeding. Griff looks for a portable radio.

The lights go on at Jim’s site. He’s like, omg. Franco has been knocked out by a metal cabinet, and is trapped beneath it.

Funny, the station looks just fine, except for the lights being out. The phones are down, and an officer says Charles Street was the hardest hit. Curtis looks grim.

Sonny asks if Michael can hear him. Michael starts to come to, but fades.

Jason and Sam look around. She runs upstairs to check on the kids.

At the party, Drew asks if everyone is okay. Kim can’t find Josslyn and Oscar, and wonders where they can be. Check the freezer, which is where all of us go to make out.

Oscar and Josslyn come out from under the table. Josslyn thinks it was an earthquake. She was in one once, but it wasn’t this big. Oscar tries to open the door, but it’s jammed.

Sam says the kids slept through the whole thing. I identify, having slept through the worst of Hurricane Sandy right in the middle of it. Jason says there’s no cell phone service. Ned and Olivia come in. Ned says they’re lucky. Jason says the mansion was built on bedrock, rather than the sediment landfill closer to town.

Lulu calls for help. Transgender kid Dakota has been hurt. Trina says Dakota saved her by running interference. Kim says she’s a doctor, and they have to pop Dakota’s dislocated shoulder back. I cringe, and Dakota screams.

Josslyn and Oscar yell for help. Oscar doesn’t think anyone can hear. Josslyn says they can’t do nothing, but Oscar tells her his parents will notice they’re gone. Josslyn says, unless they’re hurt. Oscar is sure someone will find them.

Jordan gives everyone instructions. Curtis starts to leave, but she says he’s still in custody. Just because it’s an emergency, it doesn’t mean the charges were dropped. She tells him to sit down and let her deal with this.

Jim asks if Franco can hear him, but Franco is out cold. Don’t move the cabinet or anything, Jim. Jim runs out. Hopefully to get help, but who knows; he’s such a jerk.

On the radio, there’s an announcement of a massive earthquake. Residents are told to stay indoors. Griff looks at Ava’s wound, and says it should be fine. Ava asks if anyone was hurt, but he doesn’t think so. The radio says the epicenter is where the main damage is, and it’s minimal in the outside neighborhoods. Residents are advised to stay off the roads. Doc sees Scotty knocked out.

Ned says he needs to be downtown. Olivia-Q says she owns a hotel, and should be checking on the guests. Jason tells them the roads need to be kept clear for first responders to get through. Sam asks if Jason can take her to town on his bike.

Kim makes a sling for Dakota. Drew can’t find Oscar and Josslyn. He says it’s bad out there. Two buildings have collapsed, and the construction across the street is a sinkhole. He asks if the kids have any idea where Josslyn and Oscar might have been before the earthquake. Trina says she saw them headed to the back room, probably to be alone. Kim and Drew go to look for them.

Oscar says there’s still no phone service, like this would change in two minutes. It’s still freezing, and he says there must be a backup generator to keep it cool even if the power goes out. Josslyn says it’s working, and Oscar gives her his coat, saying her goosebumps have goosebumps. She says they wanted to be alone; they got their wish. He asks if she’s played Never Have I Ever, and explains if you’ve done something, you take a sip. They both have cans of… soda? I can’t imagine it would be anything else, since Oscar has the fear of Sonny and Carly in him. He says never have I ever broken curfew, and they both drink. Josslyn says, never have I ever cheated on a test, and neither drink. Oscar says never have I ever fallen in love, and they both drink again, making googly eyes at each other.

Jordan sends out units to evacuate the area. There’s a broken gas main, and a fire spreading. She wants a mandatory evacuation. Curtis says he’s going to check on TJ, Molly, and Stella, but Jordan calls Officer Tucker over. She tells him to go to the 300 block and look for them. She describes Stella, but Tucker remembers her from almost being arrested. Curtis says if he finds her, be polite. His auntie has no patience for bad manners. Jordan asks Curtis to show his gratitude by not trying to escape custody.

Michael comes to again. Sonny helps him sit up. He wants to check on Avery, but Sonny says Ava took her for a sleepover. The generator kicks in, and Max asks if everyone is okay. He checks Michael, and asks him questions about things like what month it is. Michael says the one after February, and Max thinks Michael has a concussion. He has to be kept awake until they get some help. Michael insists he’s fine. He asks about his mom, but Max says there’s no sign of Carly or Mike.

Scotty starts to get up, and Elizabeth sees that his leg has been impaled by something. She calls Griff over, and he tells Scotty not to mess with it. Scotty wonders if he’s going to have to live with something sticking out of his leg, but Griff tells him that he doesn’t want to bleed out; right now, it’s keeping that from happening. Scotty says, no, he doesn’t. He tells Elizabeth that Franco loves her, and mumbles something about a secret. Elizabeth asks, what secret?

Franco opens his eyes, and tries to get the cabinet off of himself. It won’t budge, and he yells for help. Someone comes in. It’s Mike. Wth? Was he wandering around and is totally unhurt? Franco asks for a hand. Mike asks if he’s all right, and Franco says, does he look all right? Mike asks if this is Post Street, and wonders where the apartments went. Franco says they were demolished for construction, since they didn’t know an earthquake was going to get them out of the way. He says if Mike doesn’t mind, he has somewhere to be, and could he give him a hand? Mike tries to lift the cabinet.

Scotty passes out. Griff says the longer he’s there, the more opportunity there is for infection. Ava says the radio is out, but they’d said there was minimal damage west of Broadway. They decide to take Scotty to the hospital. Kiki says she’s coming too, but Ava thinks they should stay together. Kiki says she’s needed at the hospital, and Ava tells her to be careful. Griff asks for help with the tourniquet.

Jordan wonders how she’s supposed to manage the crisis and Curtis at the same time. She tells him if he leaves, he’s a fugitive, and if she lets him leave, it’s corruption. He tells her that he can do work she can’t. There hasn’t been an earthquake since 1991. Then Jim arrived. What if his excavation caused the condition for the quake? She says he can investigate when she’s legally able to release him. Curtis says if Jim is involved, his ass should be in a jail cell. Suddenly, his leg gives out from under him.

Sonny asks Max to check the grounds. Max tells Michael not to fall asleep. Michael tells them to find Mike and his mom. He’s not going anywhere until he knows they’re safe.

Sam needs to know Drew is okay, but Jason says he can take care of himself. Ned agrees, like he gets a vote (no pun intended). Sam begs, and Jason says he’ll take her.

Oscar starts to kiss Josslyn, but she seems really groggy, and loses her balance. Drew and Kim call out, asking if they’re back there. Oscar yells, telling them they’re in the freezer and need help. Josslyn says they’re not hurt, but really cold. Drew can’t get the door open, and looks around for something to pry it with. Kim tells the kids to hang on.

Elizabeth tells Doc she’s going to stay and wait for Franco. Doc asks if she’s sure. Elizabeth says unless Doc knows something she doesn’t, he’s coming. She doesn’t know why he’s not there, but her instinct says he loves her and will come for her. The cheese Elizabeth stands alone in the church.

Mike tells Franco the cabinet is too heavy. Franco tells him to find a board or something for a lever, or find someone else to help. Mike says, can do, and leaves. Great. He’ll forget two seconds out the door.

Jordan takes Curtis to the hospital, telling Amy that his leg went out from under him. Amy asks Dr. Park to check him. The doctor asks if he was hit by any debris. Curtis says nothing terrible, but Jordan adds that he was thrown to the ground and something fell on him, so there’s that. Jordan’s phone rings. It’s Ned. Jordan asks how everybody is, and says she’s waiting for a unit update. She finds out that Ned has talked to the governor, and she says they can use all the resources state can provide. She shows Amy a picture of TJ and Molly, but Amy hasn’t seen them.

Lulu finishes up Dakota’s sling. Trina thanks Dakota for saving her life. Dakota thinks that’s a slight exaggeration, but Trina says either way, Dakota was brave. She wishes bigoted Troy would stop being an idiot. Besides being the paintball dude, Troy must be the bully Oscar fought with. Dakota says Troy thinks freaks like him are sinful, and should be punished. Troy probably thinks the earthquake was the wrath of God. Lulu says Dakota is a hero, and as a mom, she’d be proud if her kids showed the same courage. Everyone smiles.

Josslyn starts to feel tired. She takes off Oscar’s coat, but he’s afraid she’ll get frostbite, and insists she wear his shirt. They sit, and get under the coat. Josslyn is glad she’s with him, and he says, him too.

Jason tells Sam the roads are blocked, and they’ll have to walk from where they are. Mike sees Jason. He’s confused. Wonderful.

Sonny asks if Michael is seeing double, and Michael says he’s better. Max tells them there’s no sign of Mike. Sonny wants all of his guys looking. He needs to get Michael to the hospital.

Jordan visits Curtis, who’s lying in a hospital bed. She tells him there’s still no word on TJ, Stella, or Molly, and he hopes no news is good news, Jordan asks if he’s going to live. He says he’s got a bandaged leg, a saline drip, and the hottest law enforcement official with him. Who could be luckier? She cuffs him to the bed, and says he’s still under arrest.

Elizabeth hears the sirens. She picks up a bouquet of flowers, and goes down Memory Lane about Franco. We flash back to them becoming friends, their first kiss, and their developing relationship. She remembers him telling her that he’d never intentionally hurt her, and her telling him that they’ll face things together or not at all. We flash back to them deciding to get married, and Franco’s proposal. She says Franco will be there. She knows it.

Kim tells Oscar and Josslyn to hang in there. Drew tries a crowbar, but has no luck. How about taking the hinges off the door?

Franco says he’s got to get to Elizabeth.

Mike asks who Sam is. When she reintroduces herself, he says she’s Jason’s wife. Sam asks if he hit his head, and Jason asks if he needs to rest. Mike thinks he’s okay, but tells them he was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Jason asks why he’s there, and he says he came for a reason. He just can’t remember it.

Drew gets the door partway open, but something is blocking it. He and Kim see Josslyn and Oscar, who look like they’re sleeping.

Tomorrow, Jason asks Mike who is trapped and where, Michael needs to find out about Nelle and the baby, Nelle feels a contraction, and Oscar and Josslyn aren’t okay.

Vanderpump Rules

The SUR staff is back at work. Scheana thinks it’s amazing how fast Lisa gets things done. She says all SUR needed was a little Botox, just like everyone else in West Hollywood. Lisa talks to Tom about the designs for TomTom. He asks how early the appointments are, and she says he’s going to learn what it’s like to have a day in the life of the Vanderpump regime. Jax tells Lisa that he’s coming to supervise the girls. She asks if they had fun in Big Bear, and Jax thinks James still likes Lala. Tom says it was awkward. Lisa says she’ll see Tom in Vegas, and will be avoiding Jax.

Lala brings Scheana to the recording studio. Scheana says she used to bring Shay there when she recorded, but thinks this will be a better experience. Lala wants to start taking music seriously, since it’s therapeutic for her. She wrote the song For You for her man. She put her own money in, because she doesn’t want her man coming to collect when she hits the Billboard number one spot. I advise her not to hold her breath.

Scheana tells Lala that Jax has been talking about Rob. She says maybe she is more in love than Rob, but Lala says even if he said that, why is it a big deal? He’s a man. She says this is called dating, and welcome to adult life. In her interview, Lala thinks Scheana needs to slow it down, and wait on the marriage and baby talk. Men get spooked. You need to ease them in.

Katie and Schwartz pack. Schwartz feels like he has a lot to prove. It’s his first real business trip.

Brittany tells Jax he’d better behave. He says they’ll probably party the whole time. The priorities are drinking, then business.

Tom says he and Schwartz are walking toward their future and can’t screw it up.

They check into Planet Hollywood. The Toms get VIP treatment. Jax claims not to be jealous, but…

Ariana says the suite is insanity, and if this is what it’s like working with Lisa, sign her up. The couch suspended from the ceiling is pretty cool. Schwartz says he’s been known to walk the line between business and pleasure. Sometimes it gets blurred, but they’re going to be on their best behavior. They toast to business, and move on to the pool where there’s an amazing water slide.

Back home, Lala, Scheana, and Billie order drinks. Billie says she’s an emotional mess. Her ex can’t commit. He can’t get over that she once had a penis, and she wishes he could look at her soul and spirit instead. Scheana says she used to feel lousy with Shay, and now that she’s with walking-on-water Rob, she knows he’s the right person. Lala tells them that she has a meeting with Stassi to help plan her showcase. In her interview, she says she wouldn’t have believed it a year ago, but Stassi’s events have been stellar. She’s nervous about working with James. Scheana thinks he should be as good of a friend to Lala as she is to him. Lala says he is, until he has one sip too many. She says she’d take a bullet for him, and gets emotional. Billie suggests he might have feelings for her or a crush on her. Isn’t that the same thing?

Ariana and Katie get ready to go out. In her interview, Ariana says Katie is different when she’s not with Stassi and Kristen, creating the three-headed monster.

The guys do some gambling and have shots. They toast again to business.

Brittany meets the girls, wearing almost nothing, and carrying a pregnancy test. She’s been throwing up, and doesn’t think there’s any way, but wants to know for sure. She’s not on birth control. Katie asks if they “pray and spray,” and Brittany says that’s best way to say it. In her interview, Katie doesn’t think they should be rolling the dice. I can barely understand a word, since my mind clouded over when she said they don’t use birth control. Are they insane??? And aren’t you supposed to do the test in the morning? Brittany goes to the bathroom. Ariana says she’s not ready for this. Neither am I. Brittany comes out, they wait for the results.

Tom declares the curfew to be one thirty-ish. The girls join them. Brittany tells Jax that she keeps getting sick, and he asks if she’s pregnant. In his interview, he says she can’t be. He’s very careful, and pulls out every time. Well, not every time, but a solid 75% of the time. I don’t even know what to say; I’m so stunned. Brittany takes out the test, and he says, are you really? She tells him to read it, and laughs. Schwartz is like, omg, and Brittany says Jax is lucky. If they lived in Kentucky, they’d have at least two kids by now. He’s living in Neverland. She’s not pregnant, and in his interview, Jax says he’s 10% disappointed. He thinks be a good father, and he’s almost forty. I’m sure he’d make a great father. Except for that leading by example part. I’m going to assume this was done for the show, since no one seemed to be having much of a reaction, except for laughing at the end, but I can only pray that they’re lying about not using birth control. Please. People can’t be this stupid and breed on top of it.

Stassi meets Lala at the bar. She hates sake, but Lala is a client, so she’s drinking it. I love sake, but it’s sneaky. It goes down smooth, and you think you’re good, then you get up to go home. Lala says even though they had issues, she’s always kind of liked Stassi. We flash back to earlier times when they were at each other’s throats. Stassi relates to Lala because she gets over-emotional and defensive, and reminds her of herself. Lala admires that Stassi is loyal, and stands up for what she believes in. Stassi thinks the venue should be somewhere that already has a bar. Lala says James is performing one song, but it’s her showcase. She’s been connected musically with him in the past, but this time, the showcase is all about Lala. In her interview, Lala says it’s time she spread her legs [sic], and be the person she’s meant to be musically. The producer points out that she said, “spread her legs.” She laughs, and says she meant, spread her wings. That was a good one, and seemed genuine.

Lala tells Stassi about James coming for her when they were at Big Bear. She wonders how they can make it so he has no alcohol until he’s done with his job. Stassi says she needs to decide if she’s okay with having him around in a professional manner.

The group goes to a robot bar. Jax says he would think it’s cool if he wasn’t a bartender. He thought it was a safe zone. They move on to gambling, which I know nothing about, so have no idea what game they’re playing. Schwartz says the rules are no shots after 6 a.m., water with each drink, and no going to the ATM. He also puts the vampire law into effect. Once the sun comes up, you run to your room.

The couples tumble into bed. Schwartz says he has a big day coming. Tom thinks they must be the only people up in Vegas, but Ariana says Jax is wide awake. A few hours later, Schwartz is impressed that he and Tom are ready on time. They’re not sitting at the kiddie table anymore.

Jax says Brittany freaked him out. Brittany thought he’d be mad, and at least he has the decency to ask why. In her interview, Brittany thinks Jax would be a good dad. He’d have fun playing with the kids, but it would be like the dog situation, and she’d have to take care of everything. I hear you, sister.

The Toms go to a showroom with Lisa and Ken to look at restaurant stuff. Lisa tells us that each restaurant has its own personality, And TomTom will be different than the others; she has a vision. It’s not going to be pretty, but industrial romantic. She wants wrought iron, chandeliers, Edison bulbs, and to be more architectural. Sounds kind of like Steampunk to me. She and Schwartz look at dishware. Lisa tells him that his opinion matters. She’ll never use it, but it matters. In her interview, she says she wants the restaurant to have a masculine edge – unlike Tom and Tom. The sales VP gives Lisa a BOGO deal. In his interview, Schwartz says shopping with Lisa is like playing one on one with LeBron James. Lisa says they were actually on time and looked pretty good. It’s nice to know they can listen and learn, and maybe it will work out after all. She tells them there’s a meeting at 10 a.m. tomorrow. Schwartz feels professional. He takes portable Jell-O shots out of his pocket at the store.

The group gathers around the suspended sofa. Jax gives Tom a guitar for his birthday, and everyone sings Happy Birthday. Tom says Jax does sh*tty things, but can also be a nice guy. There’s a kind heart buried underneath somewhere. Tom plays, and the girls get a birthday cake together. It has a penis drawn on it because Tom just turned fourteen.

Lisa has reserved a private dining room for the Toms and their ladies. They sip rosé, and Tom wonders if this is what it’s going to be like working with Lisa. Ariana says it feels like being a trophy wife. In her interview, Katie says it’s all she’s wanted for Schwartz. He’s finally excited about and committed to something. They agree that James would order a pizza.

James does a photo shoot with Lala and Raquel as an audience. His DJ gig is doing well, and he wants bigger and better things. Next, he’s throwing a party under a blimp. Lala tells them about going to the studio with Scheana. She says since Scheana had recorded before, she put her ass in a booth. We see a clip, and she stinks to high heaven. Lala says she loves Scheana with all her heart, but she’s tone deaf, and that part is getting cut. Lala’s boyfriend isn’t coming to the showcase because he has to work. James thinks if her man can’t take a night off to support his girl, it’s sad. Lala says it’s not James’s showcase, and he’s not allowed to drink until after the performance. He claims to be professional when comes to music, and they toast to no drinking.

Tom won’t stop making jokes involving the word quack, because they’re having duck. Schwartz asks what the curfew is, and Tom says 3 a.m. at the latest. In his interview, Tom says they’ve matured now, and are climbing the mountain to success. Nothing is getting in his way.

At eleven o’clock, they take a limo to Tao, and the others meet them there. In his interview, Tom says he only has so much restraint. A line of women come out with neon signs spelling out Tom’s name, and a giant cupcake with a candle in it. Many, many shots happen. Jax stops Schwartz from drinking directly out of the bottle. Schwartz says he’s letting Tom take the lead, and Tom says the same thing about Schwartz. Tom tells Schwartz another hour, but somehow, they get back in the limo shortly after three.

Lisa meets with the Caesar’s entertainment guy. Her rosé is going to be served there. Pandora is also at the meeting, and wonders where the Toms are. Lisa is getting concerned.

At 10:20, Ariana and Katie tell their significant others they’re late for the meeting. Schwartz says he’ll have to take an Adderall to focus. No judgement, but that makes two cast members openly using that not for its intended purpose. Lisa wonders where those two little twits are.

Lisa is getting worried, and only has so much patience. Schwartz says he’s sweating Fireball, and his hair smells like cigarettes. Lisa says it’s not looking so good. It’s the antithesis of what happened yesterday. She’s not impressed by their actions, or their odor; they smell like a brewery. Lisa doesn’t want them lagging behind. They go to the designer’s showroom.

Lisa calls him a genius, and says he’s more than a designer; he’s a craftsman. They look at some pieces, and I’m thinking definitely Steampunk. I love it. Lisa picks some things out. She says there’s a lot to think about in putting a restaurant together. It has an image. It’s not just about food, but a whole experience. She sketches some things for the designer, and he gives her some ideas. Lisa tells the Toms to settle down or do something else; they’re making her nervous. They tell her they’re just excited, but it’s that point in the hangover when you’re still a little drunk, and God knows what they took in the morning to wake up. In her interview, Lisa says that when someone knows more than you do, you have to understand when to zip it. This could be that time. Lisa talks to Ken in the other room, saying they’re driving her crazy. Tom interrupts, wanting to show them something, but Lisa tells him to wait. In his interview, Tom thinks he said too much because he drank too much. He hopes Lisa isn’t questioning their partnership. Schwartz tells Tom that his liver is pickled.

Next time, Jax wears a man romper, James’s dad comes to his gig, and Billie is going on a date with someone Stassi thinks is creepy.

🏊 The parents came for a visit on Summer House. The only thing sadder than people still being prepubescent in their thirties, are the parents encouraging that behavior. After they left, Kyle had a birthday party, with the theme being a protest to growing up. I can’t imagine someone like him being in my circle of friends when I was thirty-five. Or even twenty-five. The party was filled with guests in Colonial costume – an ode to the Boston Tea Party – and Stephen dressed like the queen. Stephen seems to be the voice of reason on this show. Probably because, being gay, he isn’t distracted and brain-addled by so many boobies living in the house.

🌌 I’d love to see A Wrinkle in Time. It was one of my favorite books as a kid. I must have read it at least ten times. However, I’ve vowed to avoid anything under an R rating after seeing Secret Window with Johnny Depp. He was in the movie; he wasn’t my date. I felt like I was in the middle of a field trip, surrounded by lit-up phone screens. Unfortunately, my peripheral vision is really good, and it was totally distracting.

😩 The latest in TV advertisement stupidity are the commercials for medicine, both prescription and OTC, warning us not to take it if we’re allergic to it. And while you’re at it, let me remind you, that plastic bag is not a toy.

March 2, 2018 – The Alternative Dance is Interrupted, Useless Info, Kid Chefs Return, Some Babbling & a Quote

Standard

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Carly takes pictures of Oscar and Josslyn. She says they’ll be grateful when they’re older, and insists on Jason taking one with her in it. She leads Oscar away for a chat, and Josslyn is understandably mortified.

Sam and Drew make out at the dance, because they’re suddenly fourteen again. Lulu talks to Kim about the reason for the party, and Kim says it’s ultimately for the kids to just be themselves.

At the gallery, Nelle asks Michael if he’s listening. He says he was miles away, thinking about the future. The baby’s and theirs.

Curtis does push-ups in his cell. Jordan comes by, and he asks if she has any idea when her man is getting out of the clink. She says it’s beyond her control. He suggests she do something that is in her control, like tailing Jim and finding out what his plans are for Port Charles before it’s too late.

Epiphany tells Elizabeth that no one’s heard from Franco. Elizabeth checks her phone, and says, nothing. Epiphany says he’s not actually late yet. No need to panic… yet.

Franco insists Jim tell him what happened. Jim says he got himself riled over nothing. They were just little kids. Franco says his whole life he’s felt unraveled, but Jim thinks he’s making his own misery. He’s healthy, gainfully employed, and has a woman who loves him waiting at the church; isn’t it enough? Franco says when he stands next to Elizabeth, he wants to be the best possible human he can be. He wants to know what happened. Jim tells him to be careful what he wishes for. What if he digs for clues that don’t exist, and it ends up costing him everything he has?

On the phone, Valentin tells Nina not to rush. He’s at the restaurant and will grab a table. Peter approaches him, and asks if Valentin knew his father was sick. Valentin says a pigeon could tell he was deranged. Peter says he had a brain disease, and there’s a 50% chance it got passed on to him.

Carly interrogates Oscar. Among her many questions, she slips in asking if they stocked up on wine coolers. She tells him no drinking, or no him and Josslyn.

Josslyn tells Jason that she has it easy compared to Michael. She thinks he’d be happier if they’re mom laid off of him. He and Nelle are having a baby, and it would be better if they were together. Josslyn says her mom thinks she can run their lives better than they can, and Jason tells her that she sounds like her mom. She says it doesn’t make her wrong. Nelle did some spectacularly stupid stuff, but it doesn’t make her a bad person. Carly comes back, and tells Josslyn to post lots of pictures – on her real account, not the fake one she created for Carly to follow. Josslyn and Oscar leave. Jason says Josslyn seems to like her dress. Carly says she loves it, and when she wants something, she’s relentless. Jason gives her a look, and she says she knows. That’s what scares her. The dress is okay, but nothing spectacular like I expected. It’s kind of like the first dress Carly nixed, but off-white and patterned.

Michael tells Nelle that spending the day with his grandfather got him thinking. Mike isn’t doing so well. Nelle says she’s sorry, and she’s there for him. He says she can’t promise that; no one can. They have to think about what would happen to their child if they die or are incapacitated. When he saw his dad with his grandfather, he realized they can’t put it off. They have to choose who takes care of their child if something happens to them. Nelle says she has no family, which leaves his. She hopes he isn’t suggesting they give the baby to his mom. He says he has someone else in mind.

Epiphany asks if Elizabeth is sure she’s ready to marry someone who self-sabotages. Elizabeth says Franco doesn’t think he deserves the things he wants, but believes he’ll learn to trust himself. Scotty pops in, saying the guests are getting restless. Epiphany says they can’t start without Franco, and asks if Scotty has any idea where he is. Scotty says he’s not Franco’s wrangler. Epiphany says, no, but he’s Franco’s dad and best man. Scotty says he’ll find him.

Franco wants Jim to tell him what happened. Jim says he and Betsy weren’t together that long, but he cared for her, and could catch flak for this. Franco says the only person Jim has to worry about is him. If Jim doesn’t tell him, there’s going to be trouble. Jim says, not for him, just for Franco. He was there when Andy took a header down the stairs.

Lulu talks to the kids, saying she’s writing a piece for the Port Charles Press. What they’re doing deserves exposure. Oscar says they just want to have fun. They’re tired of the antiquated rules, and wanted an alternative where everyone can feel safe and welcome. A boy walks in who looks like trouble.

Franco calls Jim a liar, and says he wasn’t there. Jim says he was, and the lie was the lesser of two evils. Franco should be grateful that he had a good life. What if Jim wasn’t so discreet? Franco asks what he’s talking about. Jim says Franco remembers, but Franco says not all of it. Does Jim think he’d be there if he did? Jim says he’s just not man enough to admit it, and he’s making him do all the work. Don’t say he didn’t warn him. Franco tried to kill Andy.

Jordan asks if Curtis is going to tell her next that the moon landing didn’t happen, and to let go of the conspiracy theories. He can speculate all he wants, but without legal evidence, how can he prove it? He says he’ll do the speculating. Jim shows up, buys up most of Charles Street, and throws money at one of the candidates who supports his plan. Then, there’s a sudden spike in crime and the quality of life goes down. Jordan says it drives down the property values, he buys cheap, the redevelopment passes, and construction begins. Curtis says he promised the neighborhood an arena and condos, but he has something else planned. Curtis says, it’s bigger than him; it’s about the community. They need to do something before it’s too late.

Carly tells Jason that Josslyn isn’t afraid to dream big and go after her dreams. She thinks about the awful things she did when she was just a little older, and what would have happened if not for him. He says she would have figured it out on her own. She says, or turned out like Nelle, incapable of taking responsibility for anything. She tells Jason that everyone thinks he’s too easy on her, and so do I. It ticks me off how she keeps saying Nelle is just like she was, but won’t help her or cut her some slack. Jason doesn’t care what everyone else thinks. She’s a great mom, and Josslyn is turning into a great person. She’ll make mistakes, but they have to be hers. That’s how Carly is different from Nelle; she learns from her mistakes, and Nelle doesn’t. He gets a call, and has to go.

Nina tells Carly that she saw Josslyn’s Instagram post, and her dress is spectacular. They have one like it in the Crimson closet, but the design isn’t coming out until fall. She wonders how Josslyn got the dress, and Carly says Nelle gave it to her. She claimed she got it from a runway show Nina sent her to. Nina says she never sent Nelle to a runway show, and Carly tells her to check if the dress is still in the closet.

The kids dance, and the troublesome dude walks around scowling. He takes out a… tomato? He yells, freeze, and throws it. It’s a paintball, and hits Josslyn’s dress smack in the middle. Oscar takes him down. Drew intervenes.

Drew tells the kid he’s lucky he’s not calling the cops, and to get out. Drew tells Oscar it’s over, and he’s okay; don’t let him win. He needs to get the momentum at the dance back up. Kim thanks Drew for stepping in before it got out of control. He claims he’s just doing his job as a chaperone.

Josslyn says she’s okay, just stained. Lulu says, sorry, but it’s not coming out. One of the genderfluid kids says he was aiming for them. Josslyn says he has worse issues than his batting accuracy. She can’t believe he ruined the dance, but it’s agreed her dress looks kind of cool, and she calls it Jackson Pollocky. Drew asks if Sam can dance in the shoes she’s wearing. They need to get the party back on track.

Peter tells Valentin that with Huntington’s disease, you go insane, lose you motor skills, and die. Yikes. He says it manifests itself between the ages of thirty and fifty. Valentin says his father was definitely insane, and asks if Peter is going to get tested. He’s not sure if he wants to know, but Valentin encourages him to do it. Peter says his father also left a will. Drew and Jason are beneficiaries, and Faison left them a way to identify him, but it can only be accessed if one of them dies. Valentin says they hate each other, but hate Faison more. He asks if there were other beneficiaries, and Peter says the bulk of the estate was left to his son. Nina suddenly appears, and says he was a sick freak.

Nelle asks the baby if daddy scared it. She says he’s just being responsible, and at least he agreed not to give the baby to Carly. Carly won’t be an option by the time the baby is born though. By the time mommy is done with granny, she won’t be fit to raise a Chia Pet. Carly walks in, and asks if Nelle is talking to herself? It makes her sound crazy.

Jason meets Michael at the mansion. Michael tells him that he and Nelle are getting things ready for the baby in advance. Jason tells him to enjoy sleeping in unstained clothing while he can. Michael tells Jason that they’d like him to take care of baby if anything happens to the both of them. There’s no one he trusts more, unless asking too much, Jason says he’d be honored.

Epiphany tells Elizabeth that they’re officially running behind. Scotty says he checked everyone with a pulse at the hospital, and there’s no sign. Epiphany asks, what about the studio, and he says he’ll check there. Elizabeth says he doesn’t need to do that. If Franco was late, he would have called. He’s not there because, whatever his reason, he chose not to be. The wedding is off.

Franco says, that’s not what happened, and Jim says, yes it. He saw it unfold from start to finish. He was watching the boys, and realized he hadn’t heard a peep for a while. He saw Franco at the top of the steps, and had a smirk like he was ready to show off. One second, Andy was standing on the steps, and the next he wasn’t. He’ll never forget the sound of him hitting the basement floor.

Drew and Sam show off their dancing skills to the amazement of the kids. When they’re finished, Sam’s phone dings, and she tells Drew she has to pick up the kids, but he should stay.

Nelle warned Carly about calling her crazy. Carly asks what she’s going to do, take another swing at her or whine to Monica? Nelle says Monica cares about the baby; she doesn’t. Carly accuses her of using Monica and Josslyn. Nelle asks if she can’t be friends with her baby’s aunt. Carly says she’s only using Josslyn to get to Michael, and it ends now.

Elizabeth says she’s going to make an announcement, but doesn’t want the boys there. Epiphany says she’ll take them, but it’s still early. Does she want her to stay? Elizabeth says she’s a big girl, and can handle herself. Epiphany has no doubt, and says her no good fiancé better hope she forgives him before they cross paths. Scotty says the subways are more dependable than his son. He hasn’t been right since the Drew and Jason stuff came out.

Jordan tells Curtis that he’s not the only one doing some investigating. She put in a call to a professor at PCU. She wants a geologist’s opinion. With any luck, they’ll have more insight. They’ll know Jim’s plans for Port Charles by this time tomorrow.

Jim says Franco wanted to know, and now he does. Jim tells Franco that he’s been in hell, holding it in all these years. He promised Betsy that he’d never contradict her story, but here he is breaking his promise. I roll my eyes. Franco says, better late than never. Jim says no one else needs to know. Not Drew or his wife.

Michael asks Jason how many pictures his mom took of Josslyn and her date, and Jason says, a lot. Michael remembers dying of embarrassment, but sees things now from a different perspective, and wants to preserve the moments. He’s looked at his baby’s sonogram a million times. By the time his child is one, he’ll have taken the most photos in history. Jason talks about taking a picture of Michael each day when Carly was away. Sam comes in to pick up the kids, and Michael leaves. Sam asks if Jason wants to say goodnight to Danny before she takes him home.

Kim says Drew’s still got moves. She’s seen it before once or twice. It reminded her of a night in a packed bar when, dressed in his Navy blues, he served it up during What a Feeling. Josslyn and Oscar slip out of the dance.

Carly tells Nelle that she doesn’t learn from her mistakes. She lies, manipulates, and it blows up in her face. Then she dos it again. Like the dress charade with Josslyn. She stole the dress from Crimson’s closet, and gave it to Josslyn like it was hers. Nina say she has a four-figure bill coming her way. Nelle says Crimson has a million dresses, and what difference does it make if she took one for Josslyn. Carly says she didn’t do it for Josslyn. It was trashy and pathetic, just like her.

Scotty tells Elizbeth it’s Doc’s fault. If Franco had listened to him, and not let Doc into his head, none of this would have happened. Elizabeth says she encouraged him. He says with all due respect, that was misguided. Now Franco has lost the best thing that would have happened to him because he couldn’t keep a secret. Elizabeth asks what secret, and Scotty backtracks, saying he meant a secret feeling that he couldn’t keep to himself. He asks if she wants him to tell everyone, and she says she’ll do it. They’re her guests.

Jim says he won’t repeat it to anyone, and advises Franco to do the same. Franco says he can’t live with himself if he doesn’t, and Jim says if Drew finds out, he’ll be coming for him. What if Elizabeth learns what he’s capable of doing? What would stop him from sending one of her kids down the stairs. Franco says he’d never harm them. Since the tumor was removed, he’s been able to control his violent impulses. Jim asks if the tumor was there back then. Maybe it just enhanced what’s innate, and he was born bad.

Nina thinks any money Faison left should go to Maxie. Valentin says they’ll make sure she never wants for anything. Nina says it won’t replace her husband. Peter says Maxie has a strong support system, but Nina tells him it won’t bring back Maxie’s husband or her child’s father.

Elizabeth sighs and looks at her ring. She remembers Franco proposing, and we flash back to that. She says, time to call off the wedding.

Jim tells Franco to Imagine the effect on Elizabeth. Every day the nagging doubts wearing her down until she walks away. He doesn’t have to lose her; she doesn’t have to know. Franco asks why he cares. Jim says he’s trying to save him from himself. Franco says, you know what he thinks? He thinks nothing Jim says is true. He doesn’t think it happened that way. He thinks Jim is lying.

Jordan tells Curtis that she’ll let him know what the professor says. She gives him a kiss through the bars, and tells him to stay warm.

Nelle says Nina doesn’t know how to answer a phone. She hardly knows what’s in the closet. Carly is reaching. She’s desperate, and scared. All these years, holding Michael under her thumb, and now it’s going to bite her. She’s going to drive him away, and into Nelle’s arms.

Sam tells Jason he should feel honored that Danny will sleep at his place. He wonders if he should let Danny bring the dog, but Sam says if he does, she’ll never get Danny out.

Oscar and Josslyn go into the walk-in freezer. They kiss, and the lights go out. Everything starts to shake. The freezer door slams shut. We see the Floating Rib, the Quartermaine mansion, all over Port Charles, and how the entire town is shaking. Everyone runs for cover, and dives under things.

On Monday, there goes the neighborhood.

😶 Useless information: I’m pretty sure Nelle’s backstory about possibly killing her fiancé by pulling the plug in his kayak (come on, it even sounds ridiculous), was taken from the real life story of Angelika Graswold. I recently watched an old Dateline or 20/20 that covered the story. Even though Angelika pleaded guilty to a lesser charge, they proved on the show that removing the plug would do virtually nothing.

🍨 MasterChef Junior was back tonight, with the girls cooking filet mignon, and the boys making a chicken dish. As usual, I was hypnotized and amazed by the cooking skills of kids who could be my grandchildren… almost. One kid committed the worst cooking sin ever – raw chicken. I have always cooked the crap out of chicken to avoid this. Eight kids each from both groups were chosen to receive aprons and continue on.

🏰 I missed the first episode of the last season of Once Upon a Time, as well as tonight’s, but hope to catch up On Demand and do a mini-recap. It’s hard to invest when you know it’s going to disappear, poof! in a puff of multi-colored smoke. It was inevitable once they took the Friday death knell spot.

🐹 Some Digression…

🍴 I’m loving Channel Zero: Butcher’s Block (watching it right now On Demand), but I consistently get the two main characters mixed up because the actresses look very much alike. They’re supposed to be sisters, so nothing strange about that, but it got me thinking about Samuel L. Jackson. How did I make that jump? Thanks for asking. Samuel apparently got pretty pissed at a news anchor who mixed him up with Laurence Fishburne, asking if the dude thought all Black people look alike. Well, I know I don’t, but I also mix them up. Because sometimes two people do look alike. I’ve mixed up Robert De Niro and Robert Duvall too. I’ve even confused Glenn Close with Meryl Streep. Does this make me some kind of bigot offshoot who thinks all actors look alike? Sometimes over-sensitivity annoys me.

📡 Quote of the Week

This one is so good, I wanted it to stand alone. The irony is that, from what I see on the internet, some of the very people who claim to follow Dr. King’s teachings, are the ones who don’t heed his words.

We must develop and maintain the capacity to forgive. He who is devoid of the power to forgive is devoid of the power to love. There is some good in the worst of us and some evil in the best of us. When we discover this, we are less prone to hate our enemies.Martin Luther King, Jr.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Julian approaches Kim and Oscar at the hospital. Kim says she wasn’t expecting to see him there, and he says he wasn’t expecting sewage backup at the restaurant. He’s sorry, but he can’t host the party there. Oscar says he can’t cancel, but Kim tells him Julian has no control over it. Julian says the only people who will be in the pub tonight are from Hazmat. Oscar thinks there’s no way they can find another place in the next two hours. Apparently, he didn’t read my list from yesterday.

The sliding doors in the hospital are so loud, I don’t hear what Anna is saying on the phone as she goes through them. She tells Andre that she has the itinerary confirmed, and thanks him for going with her. Finn sees her, and says they’re supposed to be at the station shortly. It’s not every day someone like him is recognized by the WSB. Anna says before they go, there’s something he should know.

At the station, Jim says Curtis is the guy who broke in. Jordan says that’s an incendiary statement, and Curtis is an associate of the department. Since they have the same last name, Jim asks if they’re related, and Jordan says Curtis is her former brother-in-law. He gripes about nepotism, and asks where the maps came from.

Griff tells Ava that it’s incredible Sonny agreed to let Avery visit. Griff calls her gracious for helping Sonny’s father, but she says he was just confused. Ava was tempted to bail on the wedding, since it’s cutting into her time with Avery, but promised Franco she’d be there. Griff tells her that he knows she’s worried that people won’t see who she really is, but her kindness and generosity show.

Epiphany says Elizabeth looks flawless. She asks if Elizabeth is nervous, but Elizabeth says she’s never been more sure about anything. There’s a knock at the door. It’s Kiki and Felix with champagne.

Franco sees Drew in the hospital stairwell. He asks Drew to wait. They stand in the same position they were in on the stairs as children, and Franco flashes back to that. He nearly passes out. Drew asks what’s wrong, and Franco starts to cry and hyperventilate. Drew tells him to breathe, and asks what happening. Does he have the jitters? Franco says no, he remembers, and blows past Drew. Drew asks, what does he remember?

Cameron tells Doc that Franco’s car isn’t there, and he’s not answering his phone. Doc says he’s probably running late. Cameron says Franco marrying his mom is a big deal. She deserves to be happier than anyone, and he needs to know that.

Felix suggests they get the party started. Epiphany says since Elizabeth refused to let them throw the bachelorette party she deserved, they’re at least having some champagne. Felix says she denied him the night of debauchery he wanted to plan, but she can’t deny him a toast with his best friend. Elizabeth thanks Kiki for supporting the relationship, and helping her decipher what’s in Franco’s brain. Kiki admits she does speak excellent Franco. They toast to Elizabeth’s happiness.

Kim tells Oscar it’s not impossible. Julian says he asked around, but the entire block is affected. Oscar says it’s too late for the MetroCourt ballroom. Kim suggests the park, and says the kids can take turns being DJ, but Oscar says the kids just want to dance. I’m not sure why this is a problem, since they could just hook up an iPod.

At the church, Scotty says, here’s Ava and her gigolo, and Griff is like, what? Scotty asks if he’s her plus one, or is he performing the ceremony? Ava tells him that no one is appreciating his meager attempt at humor, and he says he’ll refrain from the defrocking jokes. Griff leaves to say a prayer before the ceremony. Scotty asks Ava if smoke appears when they get down to business. She tells him to knock it off, and he asks what about fun? Griff has no personality. Ava says he’s wonderful, and Scotty says if she’s happy, he’s happy. Maybe Griff will make an honest woman of her. She hopes so.

Jim says Curtis had copies of his maps printed out from when he broke in. Curtis says he doesn’t know what Jim is talking about. Jim says there were witnesses, and asks Jordan to hold him for questioning. Jordan says she needs hard evidence, and he says he has security footage. He’s friends with the new mayor, and asks if she’s going to do her job or does he have to demand she be fired? Ugh. He’s like one of those people who moves into your neighborhood and tries to take over.

Doc sees Scotty, who asks if he’s going to congratulate the father of the groom or just hate him? Doc asks what gave it away? When he punched Scotty for sleeping with his wife? Scotty says Doc is sleeping with his wife now, and Doc says ex-wife. Scotty heard his son is seeing Doc, and says sometimes things should stay buried. Doc says he can’t discuss patients. Scotty says Franco had a rough childhood, and asks if it ever occurred to Doc why some memories are blocked?

Drew asks Franco what he remembers, and Franco says they were little kids. Drew’s phone rings. He tells Franco to catch his breath. It’s Kim on the phone. She needs to talk to Drew, and he tells her he’s still at the hospital and will be right there. He asks Franco if they’re good and if he’s okay, and goes back upstairs. Franco remembers them being on Betsy’s stairs. Drew is at the bottom, and Franco shakes him and calls his name. We hear a voice saying, what did you do, Bobby? Franco says someone else was there. That sure sounded like Jim’s voice.

Jordan asks Jim if anything was stolen during the alleged break-in. He tells her the maps are proprietary information, and she says anyone at the worksite could have made a copy. She rolls up the maps, and hands them to him. She tells him that if he does press charges, the paperwork and court appearances will be nothing but a headache for him. He says he needs to protect his interests, and it could be corporate sabotage, and what if Curtis sells a map to competitor? Jordan asks for Curtis’s phone, and tells him to delete the pictures. He does, and she says, there you go. Now his company isn’t at risk. She asks Jim how he wants to play it, and he tells her breaking and entering is still a crime; lock him up. She tells Curtis he’s under arrest, and gives him his rights.

Finn says it must be serious for Anna to come there. Anna says it’s nothing; she didn’t mean for it to seem dire. Robert told Mac about them getting the awards. The ceremony isn’t open to the public, and Mac wanted to give them a celebration. He wouldn’t take no for answer. If Finn wants to bring date, they wouldn’t mind, so he can bring Alexis. He says that’s a moot point. He’s not going unless she can think of a reason why he should.

Oscar literally bumps into Finn. He apologizes, saying he was concentrating on finding a venue for their alternative dance. Finn asks, alternative to what, and Oscar explains that the biggest dance at school has a dress code that isn’t gender fluid friendly. Julian had offered Charlie’s, but there’s a situation with a broken sewer pipe. Anna thinks maybe she can help, and Finn tells Oscar that she’s usually two steps ahead of us mortals. Anna calls Mac.

Julian texts Ava, telling Kim that she owes him a few. Kim thanks him for being good to the kids, and he says he’s the one who disappointed them in the first place. She refuses to let him own this one; he’s not responsible for an act of God. He says if that’s what she wants to call it when things come out of nowhere.

Kiki says she’ll check on the groom, and Epiphany goes with her. Elizabeth thanks Felix, who says it’s nothing compared to bachelorette party he wanted. She says there’s a reason she didn’t. She knows her friends had reservations about Franco, and didn’t want to put them in an awkward position. Felix says Franco isn’t his favorite person, but she is, and being a friend doesn’t mean always seeing things the same way. They need to trust each other, even when it doesn’t make sense. He trusts her, and knows there’s good in Franco or she wouldn’t have offered him her heart. He tells her not to cry. Puffy eyes in the photos would be a tragedy.

Jim goes to his office. Franco says, hello, startling Jim, but I figured he was there. Franco says it’s about time he showed up.

Jordan joins Curtis in the interrogation room. Curtis says Jim is gone, she can let him go, but she says witnesses just saw her arrest him. She asks what he was thinking. He says they can’t find Betsy, and she wonders how that’s related to Charles Street. He says the maps have nothing to do with the construction. She asks him to tell her what’s going on.

Drew sees Kim, who tells him that he’s off the hook. There’s no dance tonight; the venue fell through. Drew glares at Julian, who says it’s out of his hands. He’s going to be cleaning up sewage in the kitchen. Drew says it’s a shame; Oscar was looking forward to it. Julian always finds a way to let people down. At this point, I borderline don’t like Drew very much. Julian leaves to make more calls. Kim tells Drew that was a little harsh, and Drew says, trust him, Julian deserves it. She doesn’t know their history, but says he was just trying to help. Drew apologizes, saying he’s in a bad mood. He had a run in with Franco on the stairs, and he was even weirder than usual. Kim says he’s getting married; maybe he’s just nervous. Drew says maybe he’s reading too much into it, but he and Franco were raised as brothers when they were kids. He was sent to a state home, and doesn’t know why. The only person who can help is Franco’s mother, but she disappeared. He asks her if he ever talked about his childhood when they were together, and she says he kind of lived in the moment. Neither one of them reminisced. She knew he grew up in a group home, but he only wanted to talk about certain things.

Doc tells Scotty that he can’t confirm or deny Franco is his patient, but that being said, he would never press a patient to endanger their mental health. Scotty says if anything Doc says or does causes Franco to snap, he’s going to hold him personally responsible. Epiphany comes out, and asks if they’ve seen the groom.

Jim says Franco almost gave him a heart attack. Franco wanted to see him, and he’s always here. Jim says no wonder it’s a match made in heaven. Last night Elizabeth was lying in wait, asking him about tracking down Franco’s mother. Franco says that’s not why he’s here. Jim says he knows Franco doesn’t remember him, but thinks Betsy would kill him if didn’t get to the church on time. He’s calling his car service. Franco says no one is going anywhere until Jim tells him why Betsy sent Drew away.

Kim tells Drew that he was fine talking about high school, and things like track and detention, but when it came to family, he didn’t want to talk about it. It’s understandable, and maybe if they’d had more time, he would have opened up. Drew says, but they didn’t and here they are. Oscar runs up to them, and says he found a new venue.

Finn tells Anna the ceremony was a little surreal. She says if you stay long enough at the WSB, they recognize you in one way or another. He says for him it was a one-shot deal. She tells him that his contribution was invaluable. Cassandra had to be stopped, and she couldn’t have done it without him. He thanks her for saving him from the party, and says the kids will enjoy it more than him. He hates bullies. She says that’s why they make a good team, at least in the eyes of the bureau. Andre calls, and Anna tells him to meet her at seven.

Elizabeth asks if Cameron is nervous. He says all that matters to Jake is that Franco will be part of the family, and Aiden only knows it’s a big party. He’s glad she found someone to love her and put her first, which is a very mature statement for a kid. She tells him to find Aiden before his brother starts playing Frisbee with the ring pillow. She tells Felix that Cameron is so grown up, and they wonder where the time went. She wishes Sabrrrina could be there. She didn’t judge Elizabeth for being with Franco, and would be happy for them. Felix says what she loved even more than them is weddings. Elizabeth can honor her by having an amazing time. Elizabeth thinks back to exchanging I love yous with Franco.

Jim tells Franco that he doesn’t know why Betsy gave Andy away. Franco says Betsy didn’t tell him that; she told him Drew was dead. Jim says he doesn’t know why she misled them, but they were at each other’s throats, and Franco could get rough. Franco says he remembers.

Curtis tells Jordan that he knows a thing or two about thing or two. One of the maps has the Charles Street acquisitions, and the other is the earth under the properties. There’s no reason to explore that deep just to build condos. Jim has other plans for Charles Street, and is after whatever is underneath. Eterna? (One Life to Live fans will understand that reference.)

Kiki sees Ava. Griff comes out and tells Ava that he said a prayer for Elizabeth and Franco, and one for her too – for gratitude that Sonny is letting Avery spend time with her. He says God works in mysterious ways, and wanders off to do whatever ex-priests do at church. Kiki says he doesn’t know she made a deal with the devil to get Avery for the night. Ava says she dropped the charges, and it was Sonny’s decision, but he should have done it straight away without her asking. Kiki says she blackmailed him, and Ava says she did what any mother would do. Kiki says, no, she did what she would do.

Anna talks to Andre about going to the airport together. Finn asks if they’re going on a trip. She says it isn’t anything, and he says she doesn’t owe him any explanation. He tells her to have a nice trip and leave.

Oscar tells Kim that the Floating Rib had been closed for a private party, but Anna talked to them and the kids can use it. Kim tells him to make sure to give Mac and Felicia a proper thank you. Julian says he’ll help bring the decorations over, and leaves with Oscar. Kim tells Drew he’s back on the hook. She’s sorry she couldn’t be more help. She can’t imagine how frustrating it must be, trying to remember. He says too bad he can’t trust the only person who might anything.

Epiphany tells Elizabeth not to put her dress on. Franco hasn’t shown up yet.

Franco tells Jim that ever since he was told he pushed Drew down a flight of stairs, he’s been trying to remember. Jim says maybe that’s why he was sent away. Franco suggests Jim tell him what he remembers, but Jim insists he doesn’t remember anything. Whatever happened was after he was out of the picture.

Franco flashes back to shaking Drew at the bottom of the stairs. He hears, look what you did, Bobby. Jim stands on the stairs.

Franco tells Jim that he’s lying. He was there.

Jordan asks Curtis what he thinks Jim’s plans are, but he doesn’t know. He already suspected it’s politically motivated. Niagara Equities would have lost a fortune if Ned didn’t win. Jordan is going to call Alexis and get Curtis out, but he has another idea. He’s already behind bars, so Jim thinks he’s in the clear. Jordan says, so he might make a mistake. Curtis says he’s not in a position to catch Jim making one, but she is.

Franco says he’s been working hard to try and remember what happened that night. Now he knows what Jim knows. Jim gets flustered, and says he doesn’t know what happened to Andy, let alone him being pushed. Franco says he’s lying. He was there. He remembers what happened, and no one is leaving until he hears Jim say it.

Tomorrow, Nelle asks if Michael is suggesting they give the baby to his mom, Elizabeth says the wedding is off, and Lulu thinks the alternative dance should have some exposure.

🎣 The contestants on Top Chef did some fishing in Aspen, having to first catch the meal they were going to cook. The dishes looked so good, I almost couldn’t stand it, but they were nothing in comparison to what was created for the chefs and connoisseurs attending the Food & Wine Classic. And they had to cook for two hundred people. Last Chance Kitchen Joe went on to the finale, along with Adrienne, and Mustache Joe had to pack his knives and go. He was still pleased he ended up in third place, and thought maybe he’d do even better. I agree. Just ask Jennifer Hudson. Next week – the finale.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

It’s Scout’s birthday. Alexis and Molly arrive for the party and Alexis reads my mind saying she likes Scout’s crown. Drew is bummed about the election, but Alexis says the people have spoken. Monica comes in, and says she’s pleased for Ned, but Alexis would have made a wonderful mayor. She gives Drew a silver creamer that belonged to Lila. She knows Lila would want Scout to have it. Oscar shows up next.

Kim asks where the customers are, and Julian says it’s because of the private party. It was easier to close for the day, and not have to kick customers out later. She says it means a lot to those who are excluded and to those brave enough do what’s right. She says, you’re a good guy, Charlie, but Julian thinks she doesn’t really know that.

Sonny comes to the gallery. He tells Ava that Mike is confused, scared, and counting on him to get him out of jail. She asks how he’s going to do that, and Sonny says she is. She needs to drop charges.

Michael comes to the station. Jordan tells him that she moved Mike when he was getting iffy, and he’s in the interrogation room. She says Alzheimer’s is heartbreaking for everyone involved. He’s glad to see Michael, and says he has to go home. Rita will be worried sick.

Rita shows up at Sonny’s place, and Carly introduces herself. Rita says Mike sent her roses, but then didn’t follow up with a phone call. Then Sonny called, and said he’d have to stay longer. She thinks it’s great he reconnected with his family, but she wants to see him. She asks if he’s there.

Franco walks into the hospital with his tie undone, and looking unkempt. He tells Kiki that he forgot something. Kiki says someone has the jitters. If she didn’t know any better, she’d think that he didn’t want to get married. Franco tells her that he and Elizabeth love one another, and she’s everything. Kiki says he deserves happiness. Enough with self-doubt and pity; the past is over. She fixes his tie, and says she’ll be at the church on the groom’s side. When she’s gone, he undoes his tie again, and strides off.

Kim talks about a little dog she had that barked at the big ones. She was a bully, but her bark was worse than her bite. Julian says he bites when provoked. Jim walks in, and wants a dozen coffees, but Julian says they’re closed. I’m wondering why the door isn’t locked. Jim insists Julian can manage a few cups of coffee. Kim offers Jim one cup to go, on the house. Jim tells Julian that he’s making great progress on the excavation, and the offer is still on the table. Julian says for a supposedly brilliant guy, he has trouble understand one simple word – no.

Curtis goes to the station. He needs Jordan’s help. He shows her some maps regarding Jim’s redevelopment. She assumes they’re public documents, but he doesn’t answer. He says the new developments are in white. She wonders what this means, and his guess is nothing good.

Michael reminisces to Mike about him and Morgan serving coffee at Kelly’s. Mike talks about them building things with the creamers. They agree those were really good times.

Ava tells Sonny that she’s not without compassion, but unless she presses charges, the insurance company won’t cover the loss. Sonny says he’ll cover everything. What will it cost to make this go away?

Franco walks into Doc’s office, babbling. He says he can keep a life-altering secret, get married, and lose Elizabeth if she finds out, or tell her, and lose her immediately. Doc says it sounds like he’s trying to convince himself to keep the secret. Franco says he wants Doc to tell him to keep it. He wants Doc to do his job, and tell him what he wants to hear. I’m not so sure that’s the job of a therapist, but okay.

Oscar gives Scout a baby toy that’s BPA free, non GMO, fat free, and free of everything else. He had no idea baby toys were so complicated. Drew says it looks like he covered all the bases. Oscar can’t stay because of the party tonight. He says his mom in chaperoning, and so is Josslyn’s mom. He’s going to feel like a dork dancing in front of her. Drew asks Sam if she’d like to chaperone with him. She says she never thought of herself as a chaperone, and he says he didn’t either. Sam asks if Monica will babysit.

Ava gives Sonny and itemized list, and he says he’ll go over it, and give her cash. She says he makes it sound like a hostage situation, and asks if he doesn’t trust her. He says that’s a silly question. She says Mike is her child’s grandfather, but thinks it might be best to keep them apart until Mike’s care is handled. She says it might be the perfect opportunity for a sleepover. She’s being accommodating, and making sacrifices for the sake of family. If he wants the charges dropped, he has to do the same.

Carly tells Rita that Mike is out with Sonny, and she doesn’t know when they’ll be back. Rita asks if she can’t call. She knows it’s an inconvenience, but she’d like to talk to him. Carly says she should talk to Sonny first, and Rita wonders why she needs clearance to talk to Mike. He was only supposed to be there a few days, and suddenly Sonny says he needs to stay longer. She wonders if it has anything to do with the missing money. Mike swears he’s not gambling, and she believes him; the money just got misplaced. Carly knows it did. Rita tells her sorry to be blunt, but what the hell is going on? Carly says it’s not her place to say. Rita says it’s obviously bad, and would appreciate some honesty. Carly tells her that Mike is very ill.

Doc asks why Franco is agitated, and he says he’s been having a dream. He and Drew are at the top of the stairs, and he’s telling Drew to go down. Drew wants Franco to go with him, and when he wouldn’t, he pushed him. He wouldn’t go down the stairs, so he made him go down the stairs.

Danny blows out Scout’s birthday candle, since, being only one year old, she has no idea what’s going on.

The dude who talked to Curtis at the redevelopment site comes into Charlie’s. Julian says they’re closed, and Jim says he’s with him. Julian says they’re still closed. Kim tells Julian that she has patients to see, but will be back later. She tells him to remember what she said about bullies. Dude tells Jim about the guy he saw in Jim’s trailer. Jim asks, what guy?

Curtis tells Jordan that the maps don’t add up. There’s a lot of information, but something is missing.

Mike knows what Michael is doing – checking how much is going on upstairs. He remembers the old times, but he’s not bothered by it. One day, he won’t remember, and he’s fine with that because he knows Michael will. He’ll remember for him. Michael says, always, but it won’t be for a long time. Mike asks how long they have to wait. When is Morgan getting there?

Ava asks Sonny if that’s so terrible. He tells her what he gives, he can easily take away. Kiki comes in, and Sonny congratulates her on med school. Ava wishes him the best for his father’s health, and he leaves. Kiki asks, what just happened? Ava says she just found way to common ground.

Franco tells Doc that he didn’t make it up, and neither did Betsy. He remembered what it felt like pushing him, and remembers the sound of the toy chest locking. Doc says it seems real and is clearly disturbing him, but he wants to show Franco a different perspective. Franco says he’s the one who has to carry it around in his head. Drew is all twitchy whenever he sees him, and is asking a million questions. He’s closing in, and any second he’s going to remember that Franco pushed him.

There’s a delivery of a giant teddy bear for Scout. It’s from Julian, and says Scout came from a long line of strong women. Sam tells Molly it’s clearly for their mother, and Alexis says there’s no need to make a federal case out of it. Sam says she told Julian that she wanted no part of him in Scout’s life, and this shows he’s not listening. Tell her again how he’s changed.

Dude tell Jim the guy’s name was Ed Winters, but Jim says there’s no Ed in the crew. Julian tells Jim that he’s locking up. Jim tells him that his hospitality is overwhelming, and tells dude they’ll check the security cameras. Julian looks puzzled.

Mike walks out, saying Diane is supposed to be there, and he’s supposed to tell someone he’s sorry. Sonny is there, and says it’s all handled. Ava took care of it. Jordan says she just got word, and is filling out paperwork. Mike is free to go. Mike says Ava is a stand up gal, and he should thank her. Sonny says there’s no need. He’s taking Mike home where he can take a shower and have lunch. Sonny is going to make the pasta he loves. Mike says he doesn’t have to ask twice. Mike thanks Jordan, and says he hopes it’s their last meeting – there anyway. Sonny thanks Michael. Michael can’t believe Ava dropped the charges. Sonny says it wasn’t free; it’s going to cost him.

Rita knew Mike was forgetful. He went for walks and would get lost. He’d call from the store, forgetting what he was supposed to get. Carly says he saw the best doctors, and it was confirmed. Rita asks if he won’t get better, and Carly tells her they can only slow it down. He’ll have good days, but the bad ones will increase. Rita says he could charm birds out of trees, and there was no bakery where he couldn’t wrangle a free cannoli. She asks Carly not to tell him she was there. Carly says they’re getting a plan together. Mike has a lot of support, and they’ll pay for everything. Rita says she can’t; she’s out. She can’t handle it. She’s not a nurse. They had great run, but she’s not his wife. Carly says it takes time to process, and it’s difficult. Rita says she’s a recovering gambling addict, and the first rule is to be honest with herself and others. She knows what she’s capable of and what she’s not. She’s sure that Sonny can take better care of Mike than she could. She’s sorry. She leaves, and Carly says, her too.

Julian makes a call. He asks how fast hazmat can be there.

Doc asks Franco about Drew starting to remember. Franco says he was fixated on the rabbit’s foot, and there must be a subconscious connection. Doc says that’s a good thing, and Franco says, in what universe? Doc says they’re in similar circumstances. They need to know who they were to move on, and each have pieces of the puzzle. They should consider searching for the truth together.

Alexis gives Sam a present for Scout; a copy of To Kill a Mockingbird. She thought of getting a first edition, but didn’t want Scout to be afraid to touch it. She wants her to love it, and love Scout from the book like she did. She hopes Scout will face and fight injustice, calling out for what it is. Maybe she’ll see that a lawyer can actually change the world for the better, and maybe even become one.

At the station, Julian wants to file a complaint. Sewage is backing up in his restaurant. Jordan asks if he doesn’t need a plumber for that, but he says it’s no coincidence with Jim breaking ground near him. Jordan says he can file, but without proof of a crime, it’s only a coincidence. Julian remembers the party, and realizes the kids will be disappointed. Curtis tells Jordan the white areas on the map include Charlie’s. If Julian declined the buy-out, why is it still included on the map. She says that’s a good question. She asks if Curtis thinks he committed a crime to acquire land. Curtis says the dude is dirty, an he wouldn’t put anything past him.

Kiki says that Ava looks victorious, like she won something. Ava tells her about Mike breaking the new piece. She didn’t know who he was, and called the police, but it got sorted out. Sonny is paying the damages, and she dropped the charges. All is well. Kiki asks what Ava isn’t telling her. Ava says Avery is having a sleepover with her tonight, and she hopes Kiki can join them.

Oscar and Drew show up at the hospital. Oscar tells Kim that Sam and Drew are going to be chaperones instead of Josslyn’s mom and sister.

Franco asks Doc why he’d go to Drew for help figuring out the past; Drew hates him. Doc says then he’s back to square one, living in fear and not knowing the truth. Franco says him coming there was a mistake. It’s not that Doc isn’t helpful, but there’s no way he’s going to figure this out before the wedding. He’s going to get married, and then figure it out. Doc says it’s his decision. Franco says that he loves Elizabeth, and he’s pretty sure she loves him too.

Oscar tells Kim it was nice to be surrounded by people who are his family now. He hopes Kim doesn’t mind, but she says she’s glad he has more people who love him. Julian sees them, and says there’s been a sewage backup at the restaurant. He’s sorry to disappoint, but they can’t hold the dance at Charlie’s. Hmm… let’s see… They could have it at Aurora, the MetroCourt, probably The Floating Rib, Kelly’s, the Quartermaine mansion… Yep, the night is a total loss.

Curtis tells Jordan that Drew is struggling with the same questions. He’s close to exposing Jim, but they need proof. He thinks the maps might be it. Jim comes roaring in to the station, wanting to report a break-in. Curtis turns away, but not fast enough. Jim says, that’s the guy. He wants him arrested.

At Sonny’s place, Michael takes Mike upstairs. Carly tells Sonny about Rita. She told her about Mike’s diagnosis. Sonny asks how she took it, and Carly says she was shocked and devastated. She also made clear that she can’t take care of him, and she’s on her way back. Sonny says, better now than later. It’s rough. Mike thinks he’s going home. Carly asks what they’re going to do.

Kiki tells Ava that she used that poor man to get time with Avery. Ava says she wouldn’t put it that way. Mike is perfectly safe. Kiki says Morgan was supposed to be safe. She used his bipolar to her advantage, and now she’s using his grandfather. Ava says she doesn’t get to see her baby; think about what it’s like for her. She saw an opportunity, and took it. Now, maybe can spend fifteen hours with her own daughter. She has no regrets, and Kiki should blame Sonny for backing her into a corner.

Drew sees Franco on the stairwell. Franco is about to go past him, and they stand in the same position that they are as children in Franco’s dream.

Tomorrow, Anna tells Finn that he needs to know something, TJ wants to get the party started, and Franco says it’s about time someone showed up.

If Loving You is Wrong

Randal tells Alex to take off her clothes. She can’t do it, and says she’s sorry, but no. He says if he doesn’t go after whoever did this, she’ll sleep with him? She tells him that’s not what she said, and wasn’t really going to do it. She just wants to be done. He asks what she’s saying. She says she would rather be at peace with him than enemies. He wins. Can they drop it? Can he not say anything to Brad, and not pursue it? He says she still loves him. She says yes, and he calls her a liar. He asks if she thinks about him, and she says she does. He asks what she thinks about. She says how angry she is with him most of the time, but there’s other thoughts. He asks, like what? She asks if he’s really not going to go through with this, and he says she needs to answer his questions. She says she thinks about how it was good; how he was good. He asks if it’s better with Brad, and she says it is. She doesn’t want to talk about it anymore, but he asks again if Brad is as good as him. She says he’s better, and he tells her to get on her knees. She says no, and he says, get out. She asks him to just talk. He asks if she thinks talking makes it any better. He yells at her to get out, and shoves her out the door. She begs him, and he closes the door to the shed in her face.

Natalie sees Alex coming back from Randal’s yard. She asks what Alex is doing. Alex says she was trying to figure this out and Natalie asks what happened. She says he knows about the DNA test. Brad had torn down a camera Randal had trained on their house. They thought it was disconnected, but he heard everything they said. He’s threatening to tell Brad. Natalie says Brad already knows, and asks if she’s missing something. Alex doesn’t know what to do anymore. Natalie tells her to stay away from Randal’s crazy ass. Alex says she’s just trying to ask him not to ruin her life, clearly not hearing the word crazy. She says she was desperate. Natalie says she has to smarter than this, and the first thing is to stay away from him; it doesn’t look good. She tells Alex, do not talk to that fool again; stay away from him. Only if he comes at her acting crazy should she do the same. Alex has to go, and gets in her car.

Lushion visits Kelly’s cell. He asks if she’s okay, and she says no. He tells her to hang in there. Ian is going to help. He needs to talk to her about Justice. He thinks it would do him some good if he saw her. She doesn’t want him there, but Lushion thinks it’s best if he talks to her. He needs to know what’s going on for his own good. She doesn’t want him to see her locked up. Lushion says if he doesn’t see her, he’ll draw his own conclusions, and kids his age take on things. He’s blaming himself. Why does she think he confessed? He wants to protect her. She doesn’t know if she can, and he tells her she can. He needs her to be strong. He’s going to arrange a visit, and he’ll set her up in the interrogation room. She asks if she can write a letter in there, and he says okay. He says he’ll be back, and it’s going to work out.

I’m thinking about the tape that’s being used against her, and what about Randal’s part? He’s a freaking psychiatrist, and he was obviously goading her.

Lushion calls Natalie. He tells her that Kelly wants to see Justice, and asks if she can bring him down in a couple of hours. She says she will. There’s a knock at the door, an Natalie yells, come in. It’s Randal. She tells him get his ass out of her house. He says he came to apologize. He was listening to the tape where Brad and Alex talked to her about the DNA switch. She says she doesn’t know what he’s talking about, and he says he just wanted to apologize. He accused Lushion and found out the kid was his all along. He thanks her for understanding. He says the doctor switched the DNA, and she has to agree it was wrong.

Natalie repeats she doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Randal says had to be the doctor; who else could it have been? Natalie takes a large knife and stabs it into the wooden knife block. She says he thinks she’s an ignorant ass fool. She’ll sit here and talk to him and tell him something. He’s right. She’ll tell him something. She’s from the hood, and they don’t do that, so get his ass out of her house or they’ll take him out in little pieces too small for his bullsh*t. He says he likes what she’s done with the place and suddenly acts like he knows anything about décor. He adjusts a picture on his way out. Randal is batsh*t crazy, and might not believe Natalie, but I totally think she would cut a Randal bitch.

Lushion asks Eddie where he’s been, then says, that’s right, and shows Eddie where he was on his tablet. Eddie asks who said he could use those resources, and Lushion says he’s using them to find a missing person; he’s a local cop. Eddie asks if  he’s still playing that card. Lushion asks where he is, and Eddie says if he wants to know where Andrew is, call Rusty. Lushion says as much as he’s love to know that, he’s talking about Larry. Eddie says, who? Lushion gets it. Larry embarrassed him. He wanted to show him who’s the bigger guy, and roughed him up. But know this. Larry had better surface, and soon. Eddie says Lushion knows what Larry did and wouldn’t let him shoot Larry. Lushion says he can’t go around shooting people. Eddie asks why not, and Lushion asks if he did. Eddie says Lushion’s dumb ass wouldn’t let him. Lushion says whether he likes Eddie or not is irrelevant, and as much as he’d like to see Eddie crash and burn, this is stupid. Larry needs to be back at his desk in an hour, or there’s going to be a major problem. He’s not playing, and asks if he should send a squad car out there. Eddie tells him to do what he wants.

Esperanza sees Lushion, and he asks what’s going on? She’s come around there five times already. He asks how Kelly is, and Esperanza says fine; she’s seeing her later. She asks if he’s seen or spoken to Steven today, but he hasn’t. She says she hasn’t been able to contact him, and Lushion says it’s his day off. She says she didn’t know. Eddie wanders back, and she tells him to go to hell already. He asks how her boyfriend is doing, and she asks if Eddie did something to him. If she finds out he did, she’s going to the FBI. Well, she won’t have to go far. Eddie says when last he checked, Steven was walking out of his daughter’s house early in the morning. She asks if he’s watching her house, and he says he always is. She tells him to enjoy the show. She says if she doesn’t hear from Steven in one hour, she’s calling the FBI. Lushion tells Eddie to go somewhere. Esperanza moves along, and Lushion asks why Eddie is in his section. Eddie picks up a file, and says, Escada. He got a lead. Lushion says the only lead he wants to hear about is Larry. Eddie says they need to get back to the job their bosses want them to do. Lushion says he’s not working with Eddie until Larry shows up. Eddie thinks he’s stupid, going out there to get himself killed. He’ll be working on Escada case. I might as well say it. Poor Lushion. He has to do everything.

Lushion sees Carl, who says Kelly fired him. He thinks Lushion doesn’t seem surprised. Lushion asks why, and Carl says the DA made an offer; life without parole for both murders. Lushion doesn’t think that’s an offer, and Carl says it’s better than the death penalty, but Lushion says not if you’re innocent. Carl says being innocent is one thing, proving it is another. Lushion tells him that’s his job, but Carl says he can’t do it without witnesses. Lushion says she’s innocent, and Carl shows him the tape with Randal. Lushion is like, are you kidding me? He can’t believe this guy, and tells Carl he’s an out-of-control neighbor. Carl says the prosecutor has the video. Doesn’t Lushion see how difficult it is? Kelly should consider the offer. Lushion doesn’t think so, and Carl says then she needs to get another lawyer. Lushion calls Ian.

Ian asks if Lushion found Larry. Lushion says he knows where is, and is going to get him. Ian asks if he’s okay, but Lushion doesn’t know. Ian appreciates it. Lushion says he’s held up his end of the bargain, now it’s Ian’s turn. Ian says he called Marty, and he’ll be contacting Lushion. He owes Ian some favors, and is a rival of Larry’s. Lushion asks if Kelly can afford him. Ian says, no, but he’ll help get her started. He tells Lushion to have Larry call him.

Ian goes in to see Marcie at the hospital. Brad says she’s doing better, like Marcie can’t speak for herself. Ian tells her that he was worried, and she says she’ll get the papers to him. He says that’s been taken care of; he brought her good news. He asks if they can talk alone, and Marcie tells Brad it’s cool. When he’s gone, Ian gives her the divorce papers. Randal signed them. Marcie is all happy, and says she guesses Larry must have worked it out. She thanks Ian, and he says they’re already filed. He wanted her to be okay, and she says it made her feel better. He asks about the baby, but Marcie says she doesn’t know yet. No one is telling her anything. He asks if he can call later, ad she says, sure.

In the hallway, Brad tells Ian it’s insulting. Marcie is trying not to miscarry, and he’s worrying about his house papers. Ian says that’s not why he came; he cares about Marcie. Brad says he doesn’t know her’ it’s none of his concern. Ian says he cares about her and her health; why is Brad there” Brad says he cares about her too. Ian leaves, and Brad goes back in.

Marcie says Randal signed the papers; that’s why Ian was there. Brad says it’s strange, and Marcie agrees. She knows Randal wouldn’t sign unless he’s up to something. On the bright side, she’s free.

Natalie brings Justice to the station. Lushion says he’ll take Justice to see her, but he needs to talk to Natalie. He parks Justice on a bench, and Natalie asks if this is a good idea, and how long they’re going to be. Lushion isn’t sure, but says he’ll take care of him while Natalie gets the kids. Natalie leaves, and Lushion tells Justice that he’ll show him around.

Kelly waits in the interrogation room. Lushion comes in, and asks if she’s ready for this. She says she is, and he calls Justice in. He and Kelly hug, and he asks why she’s there. She says she’s okay, and he asks when she’s coming home. She tells him she’s working on it. He says that jails are for bad people, and Kelly tells him that she did something wrong; she shot Travis. Justice says he was trying to hurt her. What was she supposed to do? Kelly says she was supposed to keep asking for help, and not take matters into her own hands. She promises she’ll come home, and asks him about school. He doesn’t want to go; he wants to stay with her. She says he can’t. I have to mention that sleeping in the same clothes on a ratty cot with no shower for days hasn’t done Kelly’s hair any harm. It looks great. Justice doesn’t want to go back to Natalie’s, but Kelly says he has to. He says it’s all wrong and he doesn’t understand. Kelly knows, but says they’ll get through this. She’s getting a lawyer, and they’ll get through this. Justice tells her that he loves her, and wants her home. She knows, and loves him too. They’re putting it in God’s hands now. She says he’ll always be her baby, and makes him laugh.

Dr. Raston tells Marcie everything seems to be fine with the baby. She’s waiting on two more tests, but so far, so good. Marcie isn’t fine though. She’s stressing out. The doctor steps out for a moment, and Brad says she just needs to relax, and she’ll be okay. Marcie hugs him. Dr. Raston comes back, and asks if she can talk to Brad privately. Marcie asks why, but the doctor says it’s not about her.

In the hallway, Brad asks Dr. Raston if Marcie is really okay. She says she still has to get the last two results, but it’s looking good. She knows it’s none of her business, but asks how he’s involved. If she’s going to be both Marcie and Alex’s doctor, she needs to know what she’s dealing with. Brad says she’s not dealing with anything. Dr. Raston says Marcie’s baby is not her husband’s. She needs to know what’s going on so she knows where to stand. Brad says Marcie is a friend. The doctor says they seem intimate. He doesn’t know how it’s her concern, and she says knowing him and Alex is one. He asks if she’s a counselor now. She says no, but she did get a text and Alex is on her way up. She thought he’d want to know. He thanks her.

Here he comes jerk of the year Randal. He asks if she’s Dr. Raston, and then says there’s no easy way to say it. Is she the bitch who switched the DNA results. The doctor is like, I beg your pardon? and Randal says Alex said she did. The doctor says she’s calling security. Randal says while she’s at it, she’d better call a team of lawyers. He’s suing hell out of her and the hospital. She says she’d never do such an unethical, underhanded thing, and he says she needs to check his sources. As he’s leaving he passes Alex. Dr. Raston asks what Alex said to him. Brad says they’d never expose her, and the doctor says, about what? He says her help with the DNA mix-up. The doctor looks at Alex, and says she didn’t tell her that. Alex says no, but she told Brad she said that. Everyone makes soap opera faces.

Next time, Ian tells Randal that threats don’t go over well, Kelly can still smell Travis’s blood, and Brad tells Marcie that Alex lied. It’s also the finale, where they promise us three shocking surprises. I guess these short, long on hiatus seasons are good for the actors, who can have more variety of jobs, but still…

😁 I don’t normally watch celebrity magazine shows, but had ET on for a hot minute. Some cashier at a fast food place asked for Oprah’s name and how you spell it for her order pick up. Keven Frazier said, who doesn’t know Oprah? Well, apparently, that woman. And I honestly don’t think it’s a requirement.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Lulu brings Dante some food at the station, and asks how Mike is doing. He says Mike is sleeping now. Looking at him, you’d never know there was a problem. Lulu doesn’t know who she feels worse for, him or Sonny. She says the worst thing is the powerlessness; there’s nothing you can do to help. Dante asks if she’s talking about his father or Maxie. She’s already given up her career, and can start mending fences.

Peter finds Maxie asleep at her desk. He asks why she’s back at work already. She says Nina already lectured her about it, and he says she’s another one who shouldn’t be there. It’s too soon for both of them. Maxie tells him that Nathan would want them to go on with their lives. Peter says he’d also want them to take care of themselves. He orders dinner for two from the MetroCourt.

Anna finds Felicia working at the bar. She has something to tell Maxie, but wants to tell her first. Felicia asks what Maxie needs to know.

Elizabeth tells Franco that the bridegroom isn’t supposed to see the bride the night before the wedding for practical reasons. He thinks it’s to give the bride time to run. She says after tomorrow, nothing and no one can keep them apart. He says till death do they part.

Drew, sporting a bandaged hand, meets Curtis at Charlie’s. He tells Curtis that he got injured changing a tire. Since this has nothing to do with the plot, I’m guessing it’s an on screen explanation for a real life injury. Curtis tells Drew he combed Jim’s hotel room, but found nothing. Drew says just because he found nothing to link Jim to Betsy in his room, doesn’t mean he’s not involved. Jim walks in, saying he has a bunch of hungry construction workers, and places an order. Drew says he’s glad to run into him, and asks if he has a minute.

Dante looks at the food, and says Lulu went all out. She tells him that she’s lucky. He knows she’s upset abut Maxie losing Nathan. He tells her that he’s not going anywhere, and she’s glad for that. She says that when she starts something, she always finishes it, but she can’t give up a career that means so much to her. He asks what made her change her mind? Peter?

The food comes, and Maxie tells Peter that she’ll eat for the baby. He tells her go home afterwards, sleep, and come back tomorrow. She says she’s thinking of having the hotel send a cot to the office. He saw how miserable she was at the apartment. She even got rid of every reminder. It sounds cold, but she didn’t think she could survive being surrounded by objects that reminded her of Nathan. He’s everywhere, except there. It’s strange, since that’s where Faison shot him. Peter gets it. All her best memories are at home, but her worst memories are there. If she can overcome that, she can overcome anything. She says it sounds like he’s speaking from experience. She tells him don’t think of holding out on her. What kind of horribleness did he have to face?

Felicia asks Anna if she thinks Huntington’s disease was passed to Nathan, and Anna says it shouldn’t be ignored. The possibility is fifty percent. If Nathan was still with them, he would have to be told, so they have to do what he’d probably want; have the baby tested. Felicia says she’ll tell Maxie. She’s her mother.

Elizabeth asks Franco if he’s making progress in his sessions with Doc. He says it’s hard to gauge with a complex history like his. She wonders what he’s not telling her, and says he can tell her anything, but he doesn’t have to. Keeping things to yourself and keeping secrets are two different things. He asks which is which, and she says it’s a secret if it’s something she needs to know and he’s hiding it. Is there anything he wants to tell her? Scotty interrupts, asking if there’s a bachelor party planned. Franco says that should be his department, and Scotty says he’ll check his little black book for strippers. Elizabeth says that’s a no, and Franco agrees. Scotty gives Franco a letter that came for him. Inside is a card congratulating him on the upcoming wedding from Betsy. No check though. Geez. Is Betsy my maternal grandmother?

Drew thinks he and Jim got off on the wrong foot. Jim says think nothing of it. Drew says the Charles Street redevelopment is really happening; good for him. Jim says he broke ground right after the election. Drew didn’t realize he was so hands-on, and says he can relate, since he’s the same way at Aurora. He and Sam thought they could set up a meeting. They could do business together for the betterment of Port Charles. Jim Drew his him card, and says they’ll set something up. Drew says one day they might be friends again. Jim says he makes it sound like they were friendly in the past. Drew admits he has a blank space where his memory is; maybe Jim has answers. What he can’t figure out is why would a woman who loved him send him to an orphanage. Does Jim have the answer to that?

At the construction site, Curtis goes into Jim’s office. A worker asks what the hell he thinks he’s doing.

Lulu tells Dante that she was all set to quit, and Peter pointed out that if she hadn’t written the article, Faison might still be out there. Nathan was on board with it, and wanted to draw him out. He knew the risks, and in the end, did what he had to in order to protect his wife and baby. Dante says it’s true; Nathan didn’t do anything he didn’t want to. Lulu says Peter reminded her that she has a calling, and if she gives that up, she gives up on herself, and Faison wins. Dante asks if she ever thought about the possibility that Peter is using her.

Peter says after everything went down, and Nathan passed – Maxie interrupts him, saying Nathan died. He didn’t pass, he didn’t leave them, he didn’t go anywhere; he died. Peter continues, saying he reassessed his priorities; everything in his life, what mattered and what didn’t. Maxie asks what the verdict was. He says he thought he’d be happier elsewhere, and tendered his resignation. Maxie says, but he’s still here. He says Drew and Sam gave him time to think, and he reconsidered. Maxie thanks him, saying who knew he had insecurities like the rest of them? He’s too slick, and guys like him are either overcompensating for their inadequacies or delusional. He says he’s in category A, and she asks what made him stay. Felicia appears, saying sorry to interrupt. Maxie asks what it is.

Curtis tells the worker that he’s a new hire. He’s asked for his ID. As Curtis is looking for it, he says he wanted to check some stats, unless the guy wants to discuss it with the boss. The worker says no need to bother, and tells him to get busy. When he leaves, Curtis looks in the file cabinet and cupboard, but there’s nothing. He looks through some maps, and notices a few that are inside tubes, leaning against the wall. He takes them out and takes pictures.

Jim tells Drew that he and Betsy parted before she gave him up. He’s sorry, and wishes he could be of help. The waitress brings Jim’s order. He asks if he can call Drew “Andy,” but that’s a no. He says he’ll get used to calling him Drew easier than calling Bobby “Franco,” Drew says speaking of Franco, does he remember why Drew was expendable. Why would Betsy give him up? Jim doesn’t know. The only reason he can think of is that they banged heads all the time. It was kid stuff, but Drew would really go at it.

Franco wonders if Betsy is off the grid, why would she know about the wedding? Elizabeth excuses herself, saying Franco will only need five minutes to put on a suit, while she’ll spend five hours to look amazing. He tells her that she always looks amazing. They kiss, and exchange I love yous. After she leaves, Scotty says he hasn’t told her, has he?

Andre tells Anna that they’ve got to stop meeting like this. She tells him it’s about the baby. She has to find her. It’s a matter of life or death.

Peter gives Felicia and Maxie privacy. Felicia tells her it’s about the baby. Maxie says the baby is fine. Felicia says she hopes that never changes. She talked to Anna, and Maxie says she doesn’t want to hear anything about Faison; she doesn’t care. Felicia says something was found in his DNA. Maxie asks if it was a genetic mutation of evil, but Felicia says it’s Huntington’s disease. It affects cognitive functions and the brain. Faison had a number of symptoms. It’s genetic, and there’s a chance it was passed to Nathan. Maxie says Nathan is gone, but Felicia says it could have been passed down to Faison’s grandchild.

Franco says pushing Drew down a flight of stairs didn’t come up. Scotty doesn’t think the guy who said honesty is the best policy was married, or never got past the honeymoon. Franco only has Betsy’s word that it happened. Franco says he’s starting to have other memories. Scotty is going back to his previous advice. What happened, happened. He’s not a kid anymore. He has a life and should live it. He hopes Franco took his other piece of advice, and didn’t allow Doc to use him as a guinea pig.

Drew leaves Curtis a message, saying he stalled as long as could. He texts Curtis to GET OUT NOW.

At his office, Jim asks if he can help someone. It’s Elizabeth.

Lulu tells Dante that she already made the decision. He supposes he doesn’t get an opinion. He says she’s a great reporter and brought change, but she doesn’t listen when she’s told to be careful. She says her editor wants her to focus on cat shows and puff pieces. Dante says Peter wants her to take risks while he gets the reward. She says it might come as a surprise, but she makes her own choices. He says Nathan is dead, her best friend won’t forgive her, and she almost left her kids without a mother. She says he puts himself in danger every day. He tells her that he does his job to serve and protect, but he lost Nathan and almost lost her. Peter might think her life is acceptable to risk so he can boost his business, but Dante doesn’t.

Maxie tells Felicia that Nathan had no symptoms, but she says they usually don’t show up until the person is between thirty and fifty; he might have carried the gene and not known it. Maxie says he died to save his child, and it could have been for nothing. Faison can still reach out from the grave to claim her baby, and there’s nothing she can do.

Curtis joins Drew, telling him by time he got the message, he was long gone. He says Drew seems extra edgy, and Drew says he is every time he’s around Jim. He asked Jim about his childhood, but he remembers pretty much noting, except him and Franco fighting when they were kids. Curtis says there’s been no luck with anything linking Jim to Betsy, but Drew says he might have another lead.

Elizabeth apologizes to Jim for her unannounced visit. She tells him congratulations, but he says he saw her rooting for the other side. She says he’s right, and he asks why she’s there. He doesn’t think it’s to rehash the election. She tells him that she’s getting married to Franco tomorrow. He says it’s his turn to say congratulations. He’d love to get them a wedding gift, and asks if there’s anything they need. She says Franco’s mother, Betsy.

Andre tells Anna the disease is like a ticking time bomb, and can be carried for decades. She says her daughter needs to know for herself or any children she might have. Andre asks how Anna plans to find her. She says when she gave the baby up, she didn’t even ask if it was a boy or girl. She was very clever, and made sure she went through no legal or traceable channels. She doesn’t know anything; they’re strangers. She’s made a mess of everything.

Maxie asks Felicia what she does now. Felicia says the first step is a test. Whatever the results are, she needs to know. If it’s negative, it’s one less thing to worry about. If it’s positive, the doctor will guide her through it. Maxie says she has to get back to work. Felicia says the issue can wait. She needs sleep for her and the baby. Maxie says they’re both fine; everything is fine. Felicia tells her to call; she doesn’t need a reason. Maxie sits staring into space. Peter puts a hand on her shoulder.

Elizabeth tells Jim it would mean so much have Franco’s mother at the wedding. They had an argument, and she took off. They haven’t been able to find her, but she thought maybe Jim spoke to her. Jim says they’ve been out of touch long time, and she says she knew it was a long shot. He wonders why Elizabeth thought he was in contact with Betsy. Elizabeth says it would explain how she knew where to send a card. Franco got one with no return address.

Curtis tells Drew that when a big mess is usually left after a fast getaway. Betsy couldn’t have been tidier; all her expenses were paid and everything organized. She had been deep in debt, and it was completely cleared. She didn’t have the money, but after the art show, guess who did? Drew says that doesn’t work for him; Franco’s not behind it. Normally, he wouldn’t give him the benefit of the doubt, but when he asked Franco about it, he believed him.

Scotty tells Franco that he’s lost his mind, and to stay away from Doc. If Doc starts rummaging around in Franco’s mind, he’ll find something. Franco says it’s not just therapy; he’s helping Doc with his research. Scotty says, is he? Is he stirring memories that are buried or helping? Franco says both. Scotty tells him that he’ about to marry beautiful girl tomorrow. Ask himself what would his father do, then have the sense God gave a goose and do the opposite.

Jim says it’s not every day a bride-to-be tracks down her future mother-in-law. Elizabeth thinks Franco is worth it. It blows Jim’s mind that he grew up to be a famous artist, and is now marrying the woman of his dreams. He’s truly blessed. He wishes them nothing but happiness. Elizabeth thanks him, and leaves.

Scotty tells Franco they’re taking an Uber. Franco says his car is there. Is Scotty afraid he’s going to run to Canada? Scotty says they don’t know what can happen, and he’s not taking any chances. Franco thanks Scotty for being his dad, and standing up for him, not just at the wedding. Scotty is kind of his favorite relative.

Curtis asks Drew if not Franco, than who? Drew says, Jim. The more they talk, the more he’s convinced Jim is hiding something. Now they have to prove it.

Jim calls someone, and tells them what they did was stupid.

Lulu tells Dante to Mike some food so it won’t go to waste. She starts to leave, and comes back to tell him that she loves him. He says he knows.

She asks if he’s going to wish her luck, and he says he’ll do better. He’s going with her. She asks how his Flemish is.

Peter asks what Faison did, and Maxie says nothing actually. He’s just as much of a victim as the baby and Nathan. Peter says Faison was never anybody’s victim. Maxie tells him it turns out Faison had Huntington’s disease, a genetic brain disorder. It’s fatal with a slew of horrible symptoms along the way, and there’s a fifty percent chance it’s passed to the children. Peter gives a look like, DUN-DUN-DUNN!

Tomorrow, Kim calls Julian a good guy, Scout celebrates a birthday, and Sonny asks Ava what it will cost to make it go away

The Haves and the Have Nots

David and Melissa find Veronica and Benny going at it. Melissa says uh-oh. Veronica tells David, see what he gets when he walks in without knocking, and asks if he wants to see more. Benny says, are you kidding? David leaves. Melissa calls Benny nasty, and Veronica throws a pillow at her. Benny says it ain’t right; it’s her husband, and she says soon to be ex. He’s leaving, and she calls him her hero, but if he wants to go, go. He says it’s a messed up situation. She says he wanted it, and so did she so. She doesn’t feel bad about it. He does, and tells her not to call him again. He gets dressed, and Veronica laughs, asking if he’d like to come back. He says it’s crazy, and she says he’s crazy about this. Why is he fighting it?

Melissa says Benny actually did that, and he tells her to leave him alone. David says Benny is still in it, but Benny says he should talk to his wife about that. David says he’s talking to him. Benny tells him to move from the front door, and David says, move him. Benny says he kicked David’s old ass before. Veronica comes down, and tells David not to mess up her good thing. Melissa says, this is good. I’m surprised she didn’t get popcorn. Veronica calls her a bitch, and tells her to go to her room, Veronica tells David to let Benny go, and Benny walks out. She asks what David wants. He asks Melissa to excuse them, but she says she doesn’t think so. Veronica slaps her, and asks if she didn’t hear. Melissa says touch her one more time and see what happens, but she goes upstairs.

Veronica tells David that Melissa is driving her crazy. Is he jealous? A fine, sexy, desirable man wants her. He hands her a folder, and tells her to read it. It’s all the things he’s had on her over the years. She says she has a file too, so he can’t scare her with this. She calls Jeffrey a girl, and David says he’s gay; get over it. She says, not in our family; she needs to stay in jail then. David tells her that she can’t make him straight. Veronica says she’s not trying to. She’s just trying to make him be who he is. David asks if she wants him to take the file to the FBI, and she tells him to do what he has to. She’ll sing like a bird. One of them tried to have her killed, but she’s going to live to be the fire that burns him. She threatens to take care of the beige girl he’s seeing, and he tells her to move out of his way. She tells him to move her. She has a restraining order, and she’ll tell the police that he beat her. She tells him the beige girl with the pretty face is going to get messed up, and he pushes her aside. She yells that David Harrington is a wife beater. Melissa is hanging around on the stairs, and Veronica says she’s going to the doctor tomorrow to find out why she’s not showing. Melissa says she’s not going anywhere. Veronica tells her that if she’s not pregnant, she won’t have to worry about anything anymore. Melissa asks if Veronica is threatening her. Veronica says she is, and Melissa tells her that she’d better lock her door tonight. Veronica says she’ll leave it open; come in and see what happens. Veronica goes upstairs, and Melissa says she’ll show her how crazy she is.

DA George tells Sarah that they have the Cryers. It’s a match. He’s going to talk to the judge, but this is clearly enough. He tells her they’re paying Wyatt a visit. It’s solid, way solid. She wants to know what it is, but he tells her to just come.

Hanna helps new housekeeper Joanne, who calls Kathryn particular and a bit of a bitch. Kathryn snapped at her, and if she didn’t need the job, she’d have been gone. She asks if Hanna doesn’t think Kathryn is kind of stuck up. She was going to ask for tomorrow off, but she would probably hit the roof. Hanna asks how long she’s been working there, and Joanne says a week, but it’s better than the last family. Those damn white folks got on her last nerve. Their daughter got pregnant by a Black man, and they hit roof. She tells Hanna it’s an ugly little brown baby. Hanna is like, really? Joanne thought there was drama in the hood, but these people are even worse. She looks at Kathryn’s jewelry, and says one necklace cost more than she makes in a year; she could sell it and be happy. Hanna says she’d better not, and Joanne says she’s just playing. Hanna says she’ll be right back, and takes her purse with her. Joanne tries on earrings.

Hanna goes downstairs and finds Kathryn. Kathryn kids her about her upcoming date with Derek. Hanna needs to talk about Joanne. She says sorry to do this, but Kathryn has to fire her. She’s up in everyone’s business, and it’s not good for her with all the drama she has. Kathryn admits not doing her due diligence, but she thought Joanne was cool. Hanna says she’s a hot mess and will steal everything. Joanne storms in, says she knew Hanna was going to tell on her, and asks Hanna what kind of a sister she is. Hanna says first of all, she’s not her sister; she’s an honest woman, and what Joanne is doing is terrible. Joanne says Hanna’s ignorant ass gives Black people a bad name. How is she going to feed her kids. Kathryn says she’s not feeding them on her dime, and to get out. Joanne says she doesn’t know who she’s talking to; who does she think she is? She’d better have her money ready in two weeks or she’ll burn the house down. She leaves, and Hanna tells Kathryn, you see? Crazy.

Veronica calls Candace, who asks what the hell Jeffrey is doing in jail? Veronica says he’s there for her crime, and Candace says she didn’t do anything. Veronica says the phone isn’t bugged; she can say what she wants. Veronica tells her that Jeffrey wouldn’t do as he was told, and had to go. Candace says he won’t make it, and Veronica says that’s not her problem. He likes the boys; maybe he should be around them. Candace asks if Veronica is punishing him for being gay, and Veronica says it’s worthy of punishment. Candace tells her, people are gay; get over it. Veronica says not to educate her on the LGBTQ and however many letters they’ve added. Candace says people have died for being gay, and she should show respect. Veronica says give her the old days, when the closet was king for queens. Candace thinks her level of ignorance is too much. Veronica says they need to talk about David; she wants to take him for everything. Candace says her girl hasn’t found any account numbers or passwords, and Veronica tells her that David won’t leave those around the house. He might be screwing her, but he’s also watching her. He’ll know if anything is out of place, and will even use a black light. Candace asks if he’s that paranoid, and Veronica says she taught him. She says make sure nothing is disturbed. Keep an eye out, and she’ll inform Candace of the next move. She tells Candace she’s impressed so far, and Candace is like, bitch, please.

Candace calls Erica, who tells her there’s nothing there. Candace says she’s holding off on the $100K, and not to snoop; he’ll know. Erica says she thought he would, and Candace tells her not to think. Don’t touch anything; don’t do anything. He’ll black light things looking for evidence. She asks what name Erica has her under on the phone, and Erica tells her CY. Candace calls her stupid, and tells her to put her number under Cynthia. Put everything in an app, and leave everything else exposed. If David checks, he’ll never find it.

Candace asks the hotel bartender what’s going on and how the new girl is doing. He says she’s smart and careful. Candace tells him to have the new girl come to see her.

Oscar goes to Jim’s hotel room. Jim asks what he’s got, and Oscar gives him a paper with account information. He has trackers on the phone and is working on getting the passwords. He asks if Jim is expecting someone, and Jim says he is, and Oscar is in the way. Oscar leaves, saying, see you, Mr. Jones, and Jim says, okay, Mr. Smith, because they’re so original. After Oscar is gone, a girl comes in. Jim asks if she’s new at this, and she feigns ignorance, saying that she met an amazing guy in the bar, and he invited her to his room. If he happens to leave $5K on the dresser, that’s just fine. Jim says $1K only, and she says he’ll only get $1K worth of service. He says it better be damn good, and she says he’ll be paying her $5K before he knows it. She kisses him, and they move to the bed.

George goes to Wyatt’s place with Sarah. Wyatt asks what’s up. George says they have a bit of an issue. They have strong evidence tying his family to Jennifer’s shooting. Wyatt asks what they have, and George asks if his family owns a gun. Wyatt says not that he knows of, and George asks where his sister got one. He doesn’t know. George asks if he’s ever seen his parents with one; it’s important that he has, and he needs him to think about it. The light bulb comes on, and Wyatt says actually, he has. George asks which, and Wyatt says both. George says that’s all he needs, and Wyatt asks if George is picking them up. George says he’s working on it. Wyatt says them coming by has to stop. His dad is telling him not to testify. George offers to get a restraining order.

While they’re waiting for the elevator, George tells Sarah that they got them. She doesn’t like the coercion. It’s obvious Wyatt didn’t see them with a gun. He asks whose side she’s on. They killed one of them, and they’re going down for it. She says the case isn’t tight, and George asks if she’s going to rat on him. She says no, and he tells her that she just got this job. She’s with him for a reason; to learn the ropes. He tells her to watch, learn, and keep her mouth shut. They’re going to visit Kathryn and see if she’ll break.

Justin brings another officer some coffee, and says he hears the officer has the Harrington case. The officer says she was in a car wreck. She’s okay, but they have no clue who hit her. Justin tells him good luck.

Justin calls for Jeffrey at his cell, which is getting super old. Jeffery says he’s not going anywhere with Justin. Justin asks if he wants to make it difficult, and Jeffrey says he does. Justin tells him to get on his feet. Jeffrey says, no, and Justin keeps repeating it. Jeffrey just looks at him. The other officer comes out, and asks if Justin is having trouble. Justin says no, and the officer says he has the authority to make him come, but Justin says it’s okay. He looks at his phone and says he just got a text that they’re going to be late, so he doesn’t need Jeffrey. The officer says today is Jeffrey’s lucky day.

Justin’s wife, Kendra, comes to the station. She asks to talk in private. They go to an interrogation room. She asks him why. Why didn’t he tell her? She found out in open court he was with that man. He says he wasn’t, and she says she saw it. He apologizes. She says he should have just told her he’s gay, and he says he’s not. She wonders what the calls it, and he says he doesn’t know. He doesn’t know what to say; it isn’t the place. She says, no, it isn’t, but he hasn’t returned her calls. She’s not leaving until he talks to her. He owes her that. He says it’s been forever since they’ve been intimate. She says he hasn’t touched her. In the last year, she came onto him. He says she’s always busy, and she tells him not to turn it around. It’s him; just be honest. Why can’t he just tell her? He says he’s sorry. She asks if he loves Jeffrey, but he can’t talk to her about that. She says she’s his wife, and he repeats he can’t talk about it. She says it’s more like he won’t, and he tells her that he has to get back to work.

Hanna tells Kathryn that’s it, and Kathryn says it looks good. Hanna was the best housekeeper she ever had. She asks if Hanna will work for her again at double the salary, and have two people report to her. Hanna shakes her head. Kathryn asks if it’s the money, and Hanna says she knows what they’ve been through. It hurts Kathryn that she can’t fix it, but Hanna could use the money. Hanna says she could go to school and get s nursing degree. She doesn’t want to do this anymore; she wants a change. Kathryn suggests going to school while she’s working for her, but Hanna says she’d be dog tired. Kathryn says she can do it, and Hanna says she’ll think about it. Kathryn says think is better than won’t.

They go outside, and see George and Sarah pull up. Hanna asks if Kathryn wants her to stay, but Kathryn says Hanna needs to get ready for her date. Hanna says it’s not until tomorrow, but Kathryn tells her to go. George tells Kathryn they’d like to talk to her, and she invites them in. She should just pin everything on Veronica. George introduces Sarah, and Kathryn asks if he has more bad news for Jim. He says it’s actually bad news for her. Her son is planning to testify against her. She thought Jennifer dropped it, but George says what she did was die; she was murdered actually. She had a gunshot wound, point blank to the chest. Kathryn acts like she doesn’t know anything, and George says it was a 45 caliber handgun; one registered to the Cryer address. She tells him he needs to talk to Jim; she wouldn’t know about it. George says they will. He’s sorry about her daughter, and says, it was a suicide, right? Jennifer was looking into it because the blood spatter didn’t match a suicide. Kathryn asks how that can be, and George tells her that Jennifer thought her daughter was murdered. He asks whose gun it was, and she says it was Jim’s. He asks how Amanda got it, and she says she doesn’t know. She wonders if she should call her attorney, and George says if she’d like. She asks if he’s saying she’s a suspect, but he says he’s just asking questions. She tells him that they need to leave, and he tells her that the same gun used to kill Jennifer was the one Amanda used. The bullets match. She asks how that’s possible, and he asks her to tell him. She tells him that she thinks she’s said enough, and if he wants any more contact, he can speak with her attorney. She’ll give him a list, and he can choose one. She tells him that he knows where the door is, and he thanks her for her time.

David is knocking on Hanna’s door as she pulls up. She asks what he’s doing there, and he says they need to talk about her son. Hanna asks what about him, and David says he knows Benny buried Quincy’s body. He needs to turn himself in or be arrested for murder.

Next time, Hanna talks to Benny about Veronica, Kathryn tells Jim that she doesn’t need him, Veronica asks Melissa where her alcohol went, and Candace wonders what she’d look like in the White House.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Camille’s daughter is walking the runway, and they’re both excited. Malan Breton, the designer, who’s using way too many fillers, tells Mason he’s proud of her. She’s blossomed.

The ladies get in the limo. The silence is deafening. In her interview, Kyle says it’s the most awkward car ride she’s had in a long time. She didn’t know Dorit was capable of being quiet for this long, and it’s making her more uncomfortable. She says it doesn’t feel like they’re gong to a fashion show. In her interview, Dorit says it was a sh*tty night and she had a bad night’s sleep. She has nothing to say, and doesn’t want to be there. They head for the Intrepid where the show is. Dorit sits between LisaR and Erika, because it’s safer and she doesn’t want to talk to anyone else.

Kyle gets choked up seeing Mason. LisaR relates to Camille because of her own daughters. Most of the clothes are fabulous, except for this sequined thing with marabou feathers on the sleeves. The ballgown Mason wears at the end is to die for. It looks like something out of a fairytale. Erika says Camille is so supportive, and they went crazy cheering Mason on. Camille couldn’t be any prouder. Backstage, LVP congratulates both of them. LisaR wonders what’s going on, and then wonders if she really wants to know.

Kyle is opening a new store in the city. Everyone gets glammed up. Kyle’s hairstylist wants to cut her hair. She decides to take a risk – and pretend. He creates a faux bob for her. LisaR asks her what’s going on. Kyle says nobody is talking to anybody. She tells LisaR about Dorit wanting to take a cab home, and LVP saying she’d go with her. Kyle says she never gets credit for defending LVP, and we flash back to some of that. LisaR says Kyle would throw herself in front of a bus for LVP. Kyle says no, but maybe under it. In her interview, LisaR says Kyle has stood up for LVP in ways she never would. She tells us threesomes always lead to trouble.

Dorit never tries things on because she likes the thrill. Not me. Nothing is less thrilling than finding out something doesn’t fit correctly at the last minute. She’s wearing a vampire shirt because her blood was drawn last night. Okay. She calls LVP, and asks if they can chat before they leave. LVP says okay. Dorit says it feels crummy being on the outs with her, and some things need to be said.

Teddi is exhausted. She was up until God knows when. There was so much drama the night before, and she was up for SoulCycle at 6 am. She only cares about being in a good mood and excited about Kyle’s store opening. She has to pull it together. Thank God for glam squads.

Dorit meets with LVP, who says she was hurt. She’s been a good friend and always on her side. Dorit says she was upset, and things come out of her mouth when she’s upset. Like what? Diamonds? Toads? She says she and LVP spoke about it, but LVP says apparently Dorit told everyone else that she’s insecure and jealous. Dorit claims she didn’t say that. She only said that LVP is sometimes needy of her. LVP says Dorit claimed she’d told her she hadn’t gotten enough attention as a child. In her interview, she feels it’s derogatory. We flash back to what LVP did say, and it was more like her parents weren’t huggy/kissy and she wouldn’t have minded that. She tells Dorit now Kyle is mad because she didn’t want Dorit to go home alone. She feels she’s defended LVP, and feels LVP holds her to a higher standard. Dorit tries to deflect, pointing her finger at Kyle, and LVP says just because they both did it, doesn’t make it right. Dorit wonders how they can work it out. LVP says she loves Dorit, mainly on the strength of her loving PK. Dorit says that’s not very nice to say, and LVP says let her finish. In her interview, Dorit says she thought they had a better relations than that. LVP tells Dorit they became friends because of her husband, but she’s grown to love her, and they have an authentic friendship.  In her interview, LVP explains that her friendship with PK goes back years in England and Europe. She doesn’t want to rock the boat and have a falling out. Dorit says she would never do or say anything to hurt LVP. In her interview, LVP says that Dorit was complicit in talking crap about her with Kyle, but she’s glad for the sort-of apology. Dorit tells LVP to come to her directly if she’s upset.

Kyle says it’s supposed to be an exciting night, but it feels weird that she and LVP haven’t spoken. She’s not riding in the car supporting her. Teddi has come along instead, and Kyle tells her that she hates having to think about it. They get to the store, and Kyle gets excited. One of the designers is her godson, who was on Project Runway Junior when he was a kid.

In the limo/bus, Erika tells the ladies that every day, she wears a costume. It’s not an outfit, but a personality. Tonight, she’s Kim Bassinger from 9½ Weeks. We go down Erika’s costume Memory Lane. She says you have to switch it up and have depth, otherwise dressing up is no fun.

The Fat Jewish is at the opening, and we flash back to his lap dance from last time. Bethenny also shows up, and is amazed by Kyle’s faux bob. Kyle explains that they’ve knowns each other for twenty-five years. She introduces Teddi, and the others arrive. She thinks LVP and Dorit showing up is a good sign. They still need to talk, but at least they’re here. In her interview, Erika makes air kisses, and says the Beverly Hill hello comes in handy. Kyle tells LVP that she wasn’t sure they were going to shot up. Bethenny says Kyle feels like she got caught in crossfire when she was defending LVP. LVP thanks Kyle for defending her, and Bethenny says it sounded like what she calls a “thuck you,” a combination thank you and eff you. LVP says she didn’t want to let Dorit go home alone. In her interview, LVP says Kyle has Bethenny for back-up now. Bethenny says she can see the look on LVP’s face, and just stop. LVP says she loves both Kyle and Dorit, but differently. Bethenny wonders what’s up with Dorit’s accent. LVP tells Kyle she’s sorry if Kyle was upset. Bethenny points out that LVP is saying she’s sorry for the issue, but not that she conceived it. In her interview, Kyle says LVP struggles with admitting it when she’s done something wrong.

The ladies try on faux furs. Kyle’s godson calls LisaR the baddest bitch in town. LVP picks out a red one. In her interview, she says she’s paying full price so no one can add cheapskate to the insults. Erika talks to Bethenny. In her interview, she says she and Bethenny got off to a rocky start. We flash back to Bethenny saying Erika’s video had cheap production value. Erika says that Bethenny is one of those big dogs who wants to pee on everything, but has a heart of gold. Kyle tells LisaR that she’s had a black cloud over her, but she’s not going to be stepped on. In her interview, LisaR thinks it’s about effing time. Kyle needs to grow some balls, have some dignity, and stop it. Why is she kissing LVP’s ass? IMO, it’s because LVP is everything, can do no wrong, and is the patron saint of dogs. LisaR tells Kyle that she’s glad to hear it.

Dorit tries on the red coat LVP wants. Kyle tells her that she cares; that’s why she’s upset. LVP tells the clerk to rip the coat off of Dorit’s back. Kyle says she was upset, hurt, and disappointed. She put her trust in Dorit. Dorit says the best thing about joining the group was getting Kyle as a friend. The three of them have a good time. Kyle says they do, and that’s why she feels it was a waste of a day. She says Dorit can trust her, and she wants to feel the same way. In her interview, Kyle says Dorit tried to drive a wedge between her and LVP, and it’s a hard pill to swallow. Kyle thanks everyone for coming. She tells LVP she didn’t know if she would be there, and LVP says she wouldn’t not come, which is an odd turn of phrase. In her interview, LVP says of course she came; she had a jacket to pick up. She says it’s hard to understand the perception of the other relationships. She enjoyed the trip, but wants to go home now. Dorit asks about the red coat, and finds out LVP bought it. In her interview, Kyle says professionally, the trip was a success, but friendship-wise, it was a disaster. She loves New York, but gotta go.

Back in Beverly Hills, Jagger demands to see his gummi bears, Kyle gets facial treatments, LisaR gets a new puppy, and Teddi visits Villa Rosa.

LVP shows Teddi a new table she’s designing. They have tea, and LVP says she’s having a lunch for her birthday. Teddi says her husband will be glad to see the house. LVP says she’ll put the rude things away. Schnookie! Teddi asks how she’s feeling, and LVP says after the Bella party, everything got heated, and she didn’t want to be involved. Teddi says what makes it go in circles with Dorit, is that there’s no ownership. She adds that she never heard Kyle talk poorly about anyone, but Dorit does. LVP thinks she should put more thought to it, but sometimes she makes allowances for friends. She says didn’t want Dorit going home alone, and then complaining to PK about it. She thought Kyle would be okay. Teddi thinks that Kyle’s feelings might have been hurt because LVP was silent when she went to bat for her. She tells LVP not to make it about Dorit. She thinks Kyle needs to hear an official I’m sorry, LVP doesn’t want Kyle to feel hurt. In her interview, LVP says maybe she wasn’t listening, and if Kyle went to bat for her, she needs to acknowledge that. She and Teddi talk about going to Camille’s fundraiser. Teddi thinks it’s going to be okay.

Harry give kisses to the new puppy. Amelia thinks it’s ironic that he didn’t want the dog. Harry says he hasn’t started to eat the furniture yet. LisaR says he’s like a new baby without diapers running around the house. She tells them Delilah is homesick. It hasn’t hit her that her daughter lives in NYC now. In her interview, LisaR says when Delilah was eleven, she started having panic attacks, and bullying issues magnified them. That she can move is a miracle. Harry says he was a basket case his freshman year at Berkeley. He would cry in his room. He gets where she’s coming from, but she’ll make new friends. Amelia says Fashion Week as a wake-up call. Harry says he didn’t know sh*t from shinola at sixteen. His hat’s off to them. Amelia isn’t feeling well, and goes inside. Harry wonders if she’s going to attend NYU. LisaR says she has more of a connection with her than ever before. Harry says they have to give the girls guidance, and LisaR wonders if the girls realize they’re a helpful team. Harry says the girls are like fish who grew up in water, and don’t know what water is because they’ve always been around it. My head hurts just trying to figure out how this works as an analogy.

LVP meets Kyle for lunch. LVP says she needs to go to handbags anonymous. Kyle says her husband bought her bag, so it doesn’t count. She tells LVP she’s extremely overwhelmed, and LVP pours her some wine. Kyle says on top of her house being renovated, there was the trip to New York. LVP says four days felt like four weeks; it was emotionally draining. There were two things that went on with Dorit, and it was an uncomfortable situation. She says she ha a lot at stake with PK, and Kyle asks if there was anything at stake with them. LVP says, yeah, and Kyle says LVP holds her to a different standard. She puts the things Kyle does under a microscope, and she’s baffled that LVP is okay with Dorit. LVP says she’s not as close to Dorit; it’s been ten years of labor with Kyle. Kyle says she can only take so much. LVP apologizes, saying she made a mistake. No ifs, buts, or howevers. She’s sorry she neglected Kyle’s feelings, and didn’t realize she’d upset Kyle. Kyle says that’s why she was pissed in New York. In her interview, Kyle says she’s shocked at the apology. She wishes LVP had thought of it on her own, but she’ll take it. She tells LVP happy almost-birthday. LVP says she’s getting older. Kyle says even she is a better friend, LVP looks gorgeous. LVP says Kyle is getting on her nerves now.

Next time, Camille has a gift for Dorit, LVP’s birthday lunch happens, Dorit walks out of the lunch, and Giggy!

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Chase says Sonny’s father committed a crime; he’s going to have to stay. Sonny explains Mike was just diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, and didn’t know what he was doing. Chase says it must be incredibly difficult, but Sonny says it doesn’t have to be. He’ll compensate Ava, and the whole thing will be over. Let him take Mike home tonight. Chase says unfortunately, they’re past that. Sonny says he didn’t know where he was, and Chase says he vandalized the gallery. Sonny tells him it was an accident, and suggests Chase put himself in his shoes. Mike is a scared man. Chase says it’s not that he doesn’t have compassion, but they have security footage. He caused damage, and already has a record.

Ava says she was going to tell Griff that she loved him on Valentine’s Day. Griff says he’s flattered (ugh!) and doesn’t know how to respond. Really? He’d just got done telling her that he actually goes to the movies sometimes, he had a grandiose affair with Nathan’s ex-wife, and now he’s acting like he just fell out of a tree. There’s probably nothing worse than saying you’re flattered when someone tells you they love you.

Oscar and Josslyn go to Charlie’s to plan the alternative dance party. Josslyn tells Julian she’s grateful for his help with this, but it’s the only thing she’s grateful for. Brad comes in, and Josslyn congratulates him. Julian says he must be out of the loop, and Brad says that’s why he came there. He and Lucas are adopting a baby. Nelle comes in with a surprise for Josslyn.

At the phone booth near the river (not to be confused with a van down by the river), Carly says it’s dark, and they might have missed something. While she’s wandering around, Dante tells Jason that Morgan was killed in an explosion near there; the car he was driving blew up. He says that Carly had no idea of the location until he traced the call. Jason thinks there must be something more to it. Carly comes back, saying she didn’t find anything, but she’s received multiple calls from this number. Jason says he’ll look around. Dante tells Carly maybe it was just a bad connection, but she says she knows the difference between static and a bomb. Dante says there’s nothing there. She asks what about surveillance cameras or dusting for prints? She needs to find out what the hell is going on.

I miss a part here because my dogs are acting like idiots. Kind of like how everyone is acting on this show today. Maybe it’s catching.

Griff tells Ava that he doesn’t know how to respond. She says if he told her that he loved her right now, she wouldn’t believe it anyway. She tells him to consider her love a gift. He can carry it around to remind him of how special he is. She adds if it’s a burden or makes him uncomfortable, don’t waste time in letting her down easy. Just let her down right now.

Josslyn opens the box Nelle brought her. It’s a pair of boots. Josslyn says they’ll go perfectly with the dress Nelle gave her. That’s what Nelle thought, and tells her that they’re from the same runway show. They’re hers for the foreseeable future. Josslyn says Carly will freak when she sees them, but Nelle thinks maybe not in a good way. She wasn’t exactly thrilled when Nelle came through with the dress.

Brad tells Julian that he’s there on behalf of Lucas. He hopes to make it clear to whoever asks that Julian won’t be a part of their child’s life.

Dante tells Carly that a lot of people have touched the phone. Carly says she’s not making it up. Something happened there, and she’s not talking about Morgan; it’s something recent. Jason brings back a guy he introduces as Cal, who has a camp set up nearby. He says Cal told him someone has been using the phone to make calls. Well, yeah. That’s what people use a pay phone for. Carly asks if Cal can give them a description.

Chase asks Sonny since Dante is his son, if he often looks the other way when it comes to Sonny’s dealings. Sonny tells him absolutely not. This has nothing to do with his “dealings.” He asks if Chase can’t see that Mike is sick and needs help. Dante has compassion and understanding, and would let him go. Chase says maybe he could too, if it wasn’t his first week. He’s sorry, but what happens is for a judge to decide. Sonny says he’ll call his lawyer, but Chase says it’s too late to get the DA out of bed, let alone a judge. Mike is stuck there until morning.

Griff tells Ava that he’s not conflicted about being with her. He loves it. He just doesn’t know what falling in love means. He shut that part of himself off. He thinks about her all the time. Just the thought of seeing her brings a smile to his face. She’s smart and challenging, and forces him to examine his mind and heart. He didn’t realize how bad he needed it, but it’s because of her that he’s changing. It’s confusing and complicated, but he wouldn’t have any other way. It’s exhilarating, but he’s terrified.

Cal asks Carly why, and she says it’s important. He says he didn’t talk to them, but saw them. They were young, with good clothes, and nice hair; not the type he usually sees. Dante asks if it was a man or a woman.

Nelle tells Josslyn that she figured Carly had told her about it. Her mom was mad because she thought Nelle was manipulating her with the dress. Josslyn says that’s crazy; she was just doing something nice. Nelle says she was hoping by giving her the dress, it might broker some sort of peace for the baby’s sake. Carly wasn’t having it any more than she wanted Nelle to name the baby Morgan.

Brad tells Julian if anyone shows up from the agency, to tell them that he’s estranged from his son, and won’t be involved in the child’s life.

Joss thinks it would be weird for her. In Carly’s mind, there’s only one Morgan; their Morgan. Nelle says Josslyn hates the idea too. Josslyn says she doesn’t, but can understand why Carly would.

Cal says it was a guy. Dante says, well-kept and put together? Why use a pay phone? Cal says, hiding, probably using and needs a refill, and someone gave him the wrong number. The dude wasn’t happy. Jason asks if there was an explosion, and Cal says, yeah, a big one.

Sonny tells Mike that Diane said the same thing, and will be there in the morning. He hasn’t been able to get ahold of Dante. He asks Chase if he has any idea when Dante is coming back. Chase says it’s time to take Mike downstairs. Sonny suggests taking him home, and bringing him back before the sun is up. He can’t stay in a cell by himself. Mike says he’s tired and wants to go home.

Griff tells Ava that when they met she was vulnerable, and she’s herself again. This has nothing to do with the scars. She’s strong, beautiful, and courageous with a successful career. He’s afraid his drive and passion won’t live up to hers, and worried they won’t fit anymore. She asks if he’s breaking up with her.

Julian asks if Lucas and Brad never want him to have a relationship with his grandchild. Brad says, yes. So he and Julian’s son can have a family. He has a criminal past, and it could lower their chances of becoming parents. They can’t risk it.

Josslyn tells Nelle that she can see where her mom is coming from. Nelle says she was trying to do something generous by honoring the son Carly loved. Josslyn doesn’t want to dredge it up, but says that’s when it all happened. They were drowning in grief over Morgan, and Nelle did that weirdness with Sonny. Nelle says she was messed up, and apologized over and over. Josslyn says she’s forgiven Nelle, and they’re obviously friends. Nelle doesn’t see how, if Josslyn thinks of her that way. Josslyn says she doesn’t. She and her mom are two different people, but that doesn’t mean she can’t see things from Carly’s perspective. Nelle agrees that’s fair, and asks how things are with Oscar. Josslyn asks Oscar if they’re good, and he smiles. She asks Nelle about the baby’s last name, and Nelle says that depends on Michael. Josslyn asks if Nelle is leaving it up to him, and she says it depends on how their relationship is when the baby is born. Nelle wonders if there’s a chance they’re getting back together.

Dante asks Cal what kind of explosion, and Cal says, violent. Carly asks where, and he says the pay phone; the druggie freaked out. They realize he doesn’t mean a literal explosion. Cal says he’s here every day, all day; no one else comes there except to use the phone when they want something. Jason gives him some cash for his trouble. Dante tells Carly to block the number, and she thanks him for hearing her out. Dante leaves, and Carly asks if Jason thinks she’s lost her mind. He says, no.

Mike tells Sonny that he can’t stay; Rita is making pot roast. Sonny asks Chase if this is who he’s throwing in lock-up. He doesn’t know where he is. He’s confused and sick, and Chase can’t do this. Chase says it’s protocol. Sonny tells him to forget protocol, and be a human for once. Chase tells him to calm down and back up. Dante comes in, and asks what the hell is going on. Mike calls him Dominic, and says he’s Dante’s landlord.

Griff says he’s worse than he thought at this. He’s not breaking up with her; he thought she was breaking up with him. She asks if he’s serious. Does he think she’ll get bored and trade him in? He doesn’t think she’s that shallow or fickle, but she might decide she’s better off without him. She’s the most independent woman he’s ever met. He can’t say I love you right now, or promise she’ll be his first priority all the time. She tells him that she respects that, but he asks if she can live with it.

Nelle tells Josslyn that she loves Josslyn’s brother and always will, even if they’re not together. Once you fall in love, the feeling never goes away, even if it changes. Josslyn says, who knows? A kid can bring a couple closer together. Nelle says that’s for Michael to decide, and tells Josslyn to promise not to tell Michael or her mom what they talked about; Carly is already dead set against them being together. Josslyn says her lips are sealed. Nelle tells her that sometimes she feels like the whole universe is against her. Josslyn says, not her and Oscar. Nelle says, in that case, can she ask a favor?

Julian tells Brad to let Lucas know he’ll do whatever he wants, and he’s there if Lucas ever changes his mind. Brad says he will, and leaves.

Josslyn tells Nelle of course she’ll come to the baby shower. She has a little niece or nephew in there. Nelle wonders if Carly will have a problem with that, but Josslyn says Carly can’t tell her who to be friends with.

Carly tells Jason that she hasn’t been there since Morgan was killed. She couldn’t bring herself to see the place where it happened. The moment is seared in her brain forever. She remembers being on the couch, reading, and waiting for Sonny to come home. She heard the door and smiled. When she saw him covered in dirt and wet. She asked what happened. He said he was in the river. She wondered what the hell he’s been doing, but then knew something happened. She didn’t want to hear it, but he kept telling her over and over that Morgan was dead. She kept trying to call Morgan, but he never picked up. Her mom came over and gave her a sedative, and when she woke up, she convinced herself it was a bad dream; everything was fine. But everything wasn’t fine. Morgan was dead and not coming back. Jason says he’d give anything to go back and stop it. Carly says it was all horrible, but the worst part was that they thought Sonny was responsible. Tensions between Sonny and Julian were bad, and Sonny gave the order to kill Julian. He stopped the order, but thought he’d been too late. If Sonny had killed Morgan, that meant she did too, because she had to be with Sonny no matter what. It turned out not to be true. Jason says that doesn’t make her grief any less. Sometimes they think they’ll get peace or be closer because they have answers, but it’s still a loss. Morgan is still gone. Carly cries, and he holds her.

Sonny tells Dante they got Mike’s diagnosis today. Dante asks who’s taking care of him, and Sonny tells him that Mike lives with his girlfriend of five years. They seem solid, but this changes things. Dante apologizes, saying there’s nothing he can do  about Mike having to spend the night, but he’ll take care of him. Sonny tells Mike he’ll see him in the morning. Dante tells Mike he’ll be with him the whole night, and he’s in good hands. He takes the cuffs off of Mike. Will someone feed this poor guy for God’s sake?

Mike tells Dante that Sonny and his quack doctor are wrong; he’s fine. He calls Dante Dominic again, and when Dante corrects him, Mike says he was just messing with him. Dante says he has a family now, and shows Mike pictures. The Bachelor walks across the bottom of the screen, startling me, since it looked like he was walking out of Dante’s wallet. I hate those ads during the programs. That’s what commercial breaks are for, and God knows I pay enough for FIOS. Mike says he’s a lucky man, and Dante says Mike has to meet them; they can do that tomorrow. Tonight, he’ll have to stay there with him. Chase says he sees Dante decided to forego procedure altogether because he’s a moron. Dante tells him to go to hell. Thank you.

Ava tells Griff that when she was at lowest, he was there. When she needed saving, he put her first. Now that she’s healed, she doesn’t mind if he gives someone else attention who needs it. She hopes someday he can say I love you and mean it. If not to her, to someone. She wants him to know what it feels like. She tells him that he is enough. He’s all she wants; don’t doubt that. He says ditto, and hugs her.

Nelle tells Josslyn that she has an errand she forgot to run, and jets from Charlie’s.

Carly comes home with Jason. She’s glad Sonny is there. She asks what’s wrong, and he tells her that his dad sick; he has Alzheimer’s. She asks if there’s a timetable, and he says a man of his age has four to eight years, if it’s caught at the beginning. They don’t know when the onset was though. She knows he’s blaming himself, and Jason says it’s not his fault. Sonny doesn’t know what to do. There’s no cure, and Griff can’t tell him how long Mike is going to live, so he can’t plan anything. Carly says they’ll figure it out. Sonny wishes he’d known. He starts to cry, saying he wishes he was able to give Mike something to hold on to.

Griff asks Ava where they go from here? She says back to her place, and what they should have done on Valentine’s Day. She tells him they’ll take it one day at a time. Griff says she’s the best thing that ever happened to him. She says, likewise, and they kiss.

Chase asks if that’s how it works. Dante’s family gets special privileges? Wow. This guy is a real tool. I’m sure he’ll end up having his reasons, but right now it’s not a good look. And since it is his first week on the job, you’d think he’d hang back and see how things work before irritating a veteran cop. Dante says he could have done the decent thing, and shown some sympathy to a sick man. Mike doesn’t belong here. Chase says he’s new to the department. The last thing he thought he should do was cater to a well-known crime figure. Dante says Sonny is a son terrified for his father. Mike says he’s got to get home. Chase says he really doesn’t understand? and Dante asks, what do you think? I’m not sure he does.

Sonny says now Mike is in jail, scared out of his mind. Jason says at least he has Dante. Sonny asks what Carly wanted to say, but she tells him it’s not important. Sonny wants to make carbonara sauce. Carly offers to help, and when Sonny and Jason just look at her, she says she can drink wine while he cooks. Sonny goes to the kitchen. Carly tells Jason that it’s going to tear him apart. He’ll need them. Jason says, then they’ll be there.

Nelle goes to the pay phone with a case of vodka. Cal says the box better be full, and she says there’s more in the car. He tells her that he was a regular Tom Hanks. They ate up the story like it was their last meal.

Tomorrow, Maxie asks Peter about what he’s gone through, Elizabeth asks Franco if he needs to tell her something, and Anna tells Andre that finding her child is a matter of life and death.

Vanderpump Rules

Rob wishes he could have gotten some sleep. We flash back to the loud argument between James and Lala in the wee hours. Lala asks James if remembers their conversation, and if he’s going to be kind today. In his interview, he says he wants to protect her. The relationship she’s in is bad for her, and he can’t respect it. Scheana thinks James and Lala have a weird relationship. They hooked up years ago, now they’re like bro and sis, and fight all the time. She doesn’t get their dynamic, but if it works for them… Jax tells Brittany that it’s frustrating to hear about Rob every five minutes, like he’s the risen Christ.

Lisa supervises some new chandeliers being put in at SUR. Stassi asks about TomTom, and Lisa says it’s a mess. She has a lot going on. Stassi asks if she ever just kicks back and watches TV, but Lisa says not lately. In her interview, Stassi says that she thinks if Lisa has free time, she shops for ponies or polishes her diamonds. On the other hand, she probably pays someone to polish her diamonds. She asks if Lisa will do her podcast. She could tell the audience how to get a man in a couple of months. Lisa asks if she wants a personal education course. Stassi says, a little, and tells Lisa that she feels like a pita. Lisa says, why change now?

Tom tells Ariana about talking to Jax. We flash back to Jax bemoaning that he’ll never be anything except a bartender. Tom says Jax literally couldn’t take a breath.

James hangs out on a waterboard, while Jax does pushups on the deck. Jax decides to swim to the buoy and back. Rob tells him to take his time. Jax gets winded quickly, and Rob says something about the sea level and tells him to chill on the buoy. Jax is feeling pain in his chest and realizes he’s not going to make it back. He calls to the lifeguard, who thinks he’s goofing around at first. His life flashes before all of us, and we flash back to several stupid things that he’s done. We’d never have time for all of the stupid things he’s done. The lifeguard swims out, and says no more swimming to the buoys. Lala tells the girls what happened while trying to keep a straight face. Scheana scolds her, saying he almost died. and they all burst out laughing.

James throws some bacon on, and Jax comes in, dramatizing about his brush with death. Brittany tries to be sympathetic, but starts laughing. He says a grown man almost drowned swimming one hundred yards.

Rob messes around with the boat. In her interview, Ariana says they really shouldn’t laugh. It would be devastation to lose one of their friends. But it didn’t happen, so they’re laughing. Jax says it’s ridiculous how Scheana talks about Rob. When someone says their relationship is perfect, it’s not, and what Rob says couldn’t be more different. Jax tells the group that he cheated death. Tom says he would have been fine; Rob was out there. Ha-ha!

Lisa is loving the new lights at SUR. She says the same designer is making the décor at TomTom. She says she’s going to Vegas, and she’s taking the Toms. She tells Katie that they’ll be under her watchful eye. She and Katie ask Billie about the podcast, and Billie tells them about going to Thailand to get a vagina because they make them prettier. She says she loves her vagina, and Lisa is like, alrighty then, and wonders if she needs a new one.

Tom tells Jax about Lisa taking him and Schwartz to Vegas, but it’s over his birthday. Ariana being left out of Vegas trips is a sore spot. We flash back to Tom ditching her for Vegas on her birthday. Ariana is like, wtf? Jax thinks they should make it a birthday trip. Tom says he’s waiting to find out the details.

Tom brings drink supplies to the boat. Lala takes her top off on the beach. She says she doesn’t see anyone, so she thinks no one will be pissed about their man seeing. She adds it’s what “normal” people do, but I think it’s more like what normal people on the nude beach do. Out on the boat, they travel to some cliffs that the guys jump off of. Except for Jax, who already cheated death today. They take turns being pulled on an inflatable raft behind the boat. Both Jax and Tom lose their bathing suits, and oddly enough, are both wearing bright pink underwear. Scheana says Jax looks awkward AF. Jax is surprised that Rob isn’t walking on water. In her interview, Scheana says Rob does it all, and she feels like she’s dating a real man. Him having a vacation home is a win-win. Wouldn’t that be more like a bonus? Does Scheana understand words?

Stassi visits Schwartz and Katie, who are grooming the dogs. Stassi wants the podcast episode with Lisa to be better than the last one. She doesn’t want to cry, and wants to keep it professional. They wonder if Lisa ever sits around in sweats and eats Taco Bell? Does she even know what Taco Bell is? Stassi says she hook a notorious playboy bachelor, and they got married in three months. Schwartz is curious about what turns Lisa on. In her interview, Katie says it’s no secret Schwartz has a crush on Lisa, but if hell froze over, and Ken and Lisa divorced, she doesn’t think he’d be her first pick.

They talk about Vegas. Schwartz says it’s a business trip. He muses that there’s a chance it could evolve into whatever debauchery they normally get into, but that’s not going to happen. Schwartz asks Stassi what’s up with Patrick, and she says she thought it would be different this time. He’s pissed about her birthday, and scared of repeating her mistake. Schwartz says it’s hard not to fall back to old habits if you’re drunk or in a bad mood. Stassi says they’re in a pattern they can’t get out of. They fight, break up, and get back together; it’s what she’s used to and it’s disappointing. Stassi wonders who likes psycho girls.

James says he was jealous of Lala’s relationship at first, and had to find someone, but he’s glad he did. James and Lala paddleboard, as Raquel watches. She looks so unhappy. I’m hoping that if she doesn’t get rid of this twerp by the end of the season, she does after watching this.

Rob drops the girls off back at the house, and he, Tom, and Jax go off on the boat to have a beer. Jax asks Rob if he ever goes off on the boat by himself, and Rob says it depends on his mood. Getting the house was his first opportunity to see if he was a handyman. Tom asks how it’s going with Scheana, and Tom explains that they dated years ago. He almost married a princess – her dad was the Prince of Brunei – but he wasn’t ready, and had to let it go. In his interview, Jax is like, princess with unlimited wealth and grace, and Scheana. Hmm… Tom tells Rob that Scheana puts pressure on herself. Rob says that he thinks I love you isn’t something to throw around. He loves her as a person, but he’s waiting to make sure she’s in a good place before he says the words. It’s easy for him to hurt people’s feelings. In his interview, Jax says Scheana claims they say it to each other every day. One of them seems to want it more. Rob says relationships are hard enough, why make it harder? In my interview, I say he doesn’t love her.

Ariana tells Tom that it sucks he’s going to Vegas over his birthday. He tells her that Lisa says the timeline is important, but he’d rather be with her. It’s their first business trip, and he doesn’t want to assume he can invite Ariana, but they can do something when he gets back. In her interview, Ariana says they just got to good place, and Tom is making them being together a priority. If it’s a business trip, by all means go, but if Jax is going, it all goes out the window, and they’re back where they started. Tom is the one who said he wanted to be with her. Figure it out.

Schwartz and Katie have a date night. He says it’s their one-year anniversary soon. He tells her that she turns him on when she’s reasonable. She says he has business partners now, and she never thought taking a job at SUR would bring her to him, and bring him to a business. He says he needs more responsibility in his life (said no one in their 30s in 2018 ever). A mariachi band comes over to the table. Katie realizes he hired them and is thrilled. In her interview, she says he can be an a-hole to her, but also very sweet and thoughtful. It shows he cares, and is thinking of her and wants to make her happy. The band reminds her of their engagement Schwartz Snapchats her picture.

Raquel talks to Lala, saying she notices her bond with James is different. It’s his behavior around her. It’s not her coming on to him; it’s bonding on a level other than friends. She doesn’t see him doing that with others, and is concerned. In her interview, Lala says it takes a tough bitch to deal with James. Lala tells Raquel that if she felt like he was acting a certain way, she would never disrespect her man. Raquel has nothing to worry about, with her or anyone else.

Stassi arrives at Villa Rosa to do the podcast. Lisa tells her that she’s at a distinct advantage. She’s had two glasses of wine, and her guard is down. In her interview, Lisa wonders what Stassi will talk about. Goat cheese balls? Spray tans? As an icebreaker, Stassi asks Lisa if she has a celebrity crush, and we find out she wouldn’t kick George Clooney out of her bed. She thinks philanthropy is a reflection of how a man is as a lover. She says Stassi has had more lovers than she has. Stassi asks Lisa if she’s a skank, and Lisa is like, um…  She tells Stassi that she met Ken when she was twenty-one. They got engaged after six weeks, and married after three months. They’d met through Lisa’s brother, and had an instant connection the first night. She says their first date was magic, and they fell in love immediately. Ken said he wasn’t giving her his number because he knew didn’t want to get married. She told him to ask anyway. He did, and she said yes. Stassi thinks her attitude is what attracts men, and Lisa says you have to meet on an equal level. Otherwise, it’s not worth going down the path. In her interview, Stassi thinks maybe if she wasn’t so focused on relationships, she could focus on her goal of world domination. In closing, Stassi asks if Lisa would rather swim in a pool of poop or dead bodies. Lisa goes with the poop option. In her interview, she says she was impressed with Stassi’s professionalism – until then.

Scheana has list of what has to be done before they leave. Tom and James get into bed with Jax and Brittany to wake them up. Jax says people forget he almost died, and it was exhausting. He says Rob is sleeping, and Scheana is trying to make sure the house is clean. Lala and James get in the hot tub. Ariana wishes they could stay forever. Tom says she should come to Vegas. In his interview, he says that one of the reasons he wanted to branch out was to provide a better life for Ariana. She’s motivating, so it makes sense to be with her in Vegas. He tells Ariana that he talked to Lisa, and she said it was fine, as long as she pays her own flight expenses. Despite him being annoyingly busy, he wants ot make good on his promise to make her a priority. And BTW, Jax and Brittany are coming too.

Lala tells James that Raquel feels there’s flirting involved with their relationship. She’s never seen him act toward other girls the same way. James says he found her, as in discovered. She says he was the first person she recorded with, and she’d always loved to sing. He met her at a place where she needed a friend. James says Raquel has to deal with it; it’s just how he is. Lala thinks he has some idea about unconditional love, but it doesn’t have to be that way with friends. Her boyfriend is basically family, and James needs to respect that. She’ll always pick family over him. In his interview, James says if he’d been successful, Lala would have come along, but he wasn’t. His point? Lala tells him that if he ever disrespects her, he won’t see Lala anymore. Both of them talk about themselves in the third person, which is incredibly odd.

Scheana tells Rob that she loves him, and he says, um… Lala didn’t sleep, and feels like sh*t. James says she doesn’t look it, and Raquel looks sad. Scheana wakes everyone up with what’s left of the chore list. Jax is glad he survived his near death experience. Everyone packs up and goes.

Kristen comes by Scheana’s apartment to give her a birthday present. Scheana talks about having a new project with Rob called “Divorce Closet.” Exes who have common property they don’t want any more can sell it through them on eBay. Why didn’t I think of that? She has a bunch of Shay’s old stuff. In her interview, Kristen says Scheana is inventing the most ironic business model by selling her ex’s stuff with her current boyfriend. Kristen tells her about Jax claiming that Rob had never told her that he loves her. Scheana says she knows her man loves her; his actions show it. She tells Kristen that Jax is threatened by Rob, and wants what they have. She says they’re in love, but Rob has a hard time expressing it, and they had that conversation. She knows he loves her because she feels it. He adores her. They talk about having kids and getting married. They’ve looked at houses, and even named their first kid. Kristen totally tunes out as Scheana babbles. She says Jax doesn’t deserve a conversation with her. He screwed with her relationship; she’s going to screw with his. He’s going down.

Next time, the Vegas trip, the Toms are late for the meeting, Lala tells James not to mess up her showcase, and Brittany might be pregnant. I saw the sneak preview on Watch What Happens Live, and Brittany and Jax don’t use birth control. Even for stupid people, that’s stupid.

⛵ On Summer House, Stephen said the summer was half over, and they were crushing it. I’ve seen them crush cakes, a watermelon, pool floaties, and each other, but that’s not my idea of crushing summer.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

It’s GH’s 14,000th episode.

New detective Chase comes to the gallery. Ava says the insurance value of the sculpture Mike broke is $14,000. The man is deranged and she wants him caught.

Sonny asks David if he knew something was wrong before referring him to Griff, but David thinks Griff is the doctor he should be talking to. Sonny says he must have seen the signs. Why didn’t David warn him?

Franco tells Elizabeth that he’s exactly where he wants to be. Elizabeth is glad they’re going to be spending the rest of their lives together. Epiphany sees them, and says, hell no.

Anna sees Finn talking to Alexis at the hospital desk, and turns away. Alexis bemoans another article about her tanking the election. She says no one should run who has skeletons in their closer. Finn mentions there’s an elephant in the room. Alexis sees Anna.

Carly goes with Jason to the station. She says she’s been getting calls for weeks. She says if the police can’t help them, they have Spinelli as a fallback. She wonders if she’s being ridiculous, and Jason says he wants to help her find out what happened. Dante asks them what’s going on, and Carly tells him that she’s been getting calls from a local number and no one is there. She called back, but no one answers. On one call, a male voice said, I’m here, then twenty minutes ago (two days in our time) she got this. She shows him her phone and says she heard an explosion. She wants Dante to trace the number, and he says okay. It must be nice to have friends in high places. There’s no way they’d bother with this IRL. You might even get reprimanded for being a time-waster.

Epiphany says she can’t let Elizabeth defy tradition; she doesn’t want to invite misfortune. Doc pops out of his office, and tells Franco it’s time to get started. Epiphany asks Elizabeth what her plans are for tonight, the night before the wedding. Elizabeth says she’s going to take a bubble bath, and Epiphany says, wrong. Epiphany is taking her out for a drink. Elizabeth is concerned that Epiphany wants to talk her out of marrying Franco, but Epiphany says Elizabeth’s friends spent the better part of the past year trying to convince her not to marry him. What would be the point?

In Doc’s office, Franco is worried that if Elizabeth finds out he’s keeping another secret, she’ll never trust him again.

Alexis tells Anna that they just came from an AA meeting, and Anna says she was there for an appointment. She says she’s sorry about the election. Alexis was trying to do a good thing, and didn’t deserve what happened. Anna leaves, and Alexis calls Finn a silver-tongued devil. He couldn’t even choke out her name. She tells him to clear up the misconception, and go after her. He doesn’t see a need for that. He told her how he feels, and she shot him down.

David says he’s told Sonny what he could. Technically, he shouldn’t be discussing Mike’s case with him. Sonny says Mike didn’t believe the diagnosis, and stormed out. They haven’t seen him since. They don’t have the greatest relationship, but Mike has always been a capable guy, and able to think on his feet. This has to be worst thing in the world.

Ava talks to Chase, who says it will help if she gives him the security footage.  Griff shows up, and asks what’s going on. Ava says a disoriented guy came into the gallery, broke a statue, and ran off. He asks if she was threatened, and she says no, but she felt unsafe; the guy was out of control. She goes to her laptop to get the footage. Chase tells her that he’ll forward it to all local units, and leaves. Griff looks at the screen and says he knows that guy. We see a still shot of Mike at the gallery.

In the interrogation room, Jason asks Carly when the phone calls started, and she tells him the beginning of February. At first, she thought it was a wrong number, but the calls kept coming. All three of them? Then on Valentine’s Day, she heard a young man’s voice say, I’m here. Jason says that was a week ago, and asks why she waited so long. Carly didn’t think it was important. He says, maybe, but if it’s bothering her, it’s important to him. She says this is why she missed him. She can always come to him no matter what shows up. He’s the first person who did that for her. She counts on him, and knows she takes advantage, but he loves her. He says he does, and if something is bothering her, he wants to fix It. She wants him to let her do the same. She says the only reason Sam married Drew is because she’s running. Jason tells her to stop. Dante comes in, and says he got a hit on the phone number.

At the bar, Elizabeth is worried that Epiphany has set her up, but Epiphany says it’s just them. Elizabeth tells her it’s hard being surrounded by friends smiling and wishing her well, when they’re thinking it’s a mistake. Epiphany tells her to forget her friends; what does she think?

Franco wants Doc to be able to tell him that Elizabeth and the kids are safe, and there’s no weird monster inside of him. Doc says he can’t do that. He can help Franco with what’s troubling him, but Franco has to tell him. Franco says he and Drew were playing hide and seek. He found Drew in a toy chest, locked it, and left him in it.

Sonny asks how long the progression is, and David says it’s not his area of expertise, but some medications work in some cases. Even so, the best that can be hoped for is to slow the deterioration. The long term is inevitable. Sonny says it sounds grim, and David says he’s sorry. Sonny appreciates his honesty, and that he’s not sugarcoating. Sonny gets a call from Griff. Griff asks if he’s found his father. Sonny says, no, and Griff tells him to get to Ava’s gallery.

Anna sits at the bar, messing with her phone. Andre asks if this seat is taken, and she asks what took him so long.

Dante tells Carly it’s a pay phone off of Route 35 by the river. There haven’t been any reports of an incident in the vicinity, but he has to follow up.

Elizabeth tells Epiphany that she and the boys see the real Franco, but everyone else seems to be waiting for him to prove he’s as bad as they thought. Epiphany says they trust her judgement. She just hopes Elizabeth is right. They love her, and remember Franco’s life before the tumor was removed.

David sees Kiki studying in a booth at the bar. She groans over her studies, and he tells her that she’s going to need more than coffee to survive; she needs sustenance. He orders ribs, coleslaw, mac and cheese, and two plates. He says he can’t have his future intern collapsing from hunger, and asks, what’s stumping her?

Anna tells Andre she’s glad he’s there, and he says he is too. He didn’t expect it. The bureau is reviving the memory mapping program. In exchange for his cooperation, his sentence was commuted and his record expunged. He says it had to have come from someone high up. She wouldn’t know about that, would she? Whoever it is, he owes them. Anna asks if he thinks he can duplicate the procedure without his research notes, and he says he’s reasonably confident. He’d rather it be funded by the WSB than a faceless backer who turns out to be Faison. Anna says even though know she knows he’s dead, she still feels sick hearing his name. Andre says she suffered severe trauma at his hand, especially when she thinks about the baby. She says she has no one to blame but herself, but Andre says she still doesn’t have to endure it alone. She needs  to confide in someone. She says she told him, but he says what about the man she’s grown close to? Has she told him?

Alexis tells Finn that the downside of running for mayor – besides losing – is that it negates the anonymous part of AA. People must either be thinking, hooray, she lost, or poor thing, she lost. He asks if she’s projecting a little, and says she shouldn’t second guess her campaign. She did something valuable. She says a lot of good it did, but he tells her to fight harder next time. She says this was the only time, and he says find another way to fight. She cared enough about the community to put herself out there; don’t be sorry for making an effort. She appreciates the encouragement, but tells him not to feel an obligation to prop her up because of last night. And last night can never happen again.

Sonny gets to the gallery. Ava says his father was disoriented, got agitated, and broke something, and she called the police before she knew who he was. Sonny wonders why he went there, and she says he thought it was Luke’s club. Sonny says Mike worked there as a bartender when he first came to Port Charles. Griff says it’s like when he went to Kelly’s. Sonny says ,but it was the same diner in the same spot. Aside from the address, the gallery has nothing to do with the club. Sonny asks if he’s that far gone, and Griff says the disease isn’t a steady or consistent process. Times of lucidity can be followed by disorientation, especially after emotional strain. Sonny wonders if hearing the diagnosis made everything worse. Sonny’s phone rings, and it’s Mike. He tells Sonny that he’s at the station.

Anna tells Andre that she hasn’t said anything; there’s no need. He says there is if she wants a healthy relationship. She says she and Finn have no relationship. Andre says the word was out that they were seeing each other. Anna says her plan was to use him to gain access to Cassandra. One thing led to another, and they pretended to be lovers, but Finn insisted  on staying when she wanted him to quit. He refused to listen to anything, and almost got killed twice. First, Cassandra drugged him, and the second time she knocked him out when Faison wanted her to shoot him. Andre says Cassandra is comatose, and Faison is dead. Andre isn’t saying it’s not complicated. She can find a million reasons for them not to be together, but can’t change her feelings. She says feelings aren’t the point. Finn deserves love, and also deserves the truth. In order for them to mean anything to each other, he has to know about her past, and the worst thing she ever did. It doesn’t matter anymore though. By the time she got to him, it was already too late.

Alexis says she and Finn have been in recovery about the same amount of time, and know it’s a bad idea for AA members to sleep with each other. She likes him and gets him; they’re both fighting the same demons. The last thing she wants is to compromise their sobriety. Finn says the back and forth with Anna taught him that he’s in no place to pursue a relationship, but he could use a friend. He’d be sorry if last night messed it up.

David sits next to Kiki, and shows her something that sounds like an algebraic formula. She says he makes it sound simple, and he tells her when you’ve been doing it as long as he has, it is. The food arrives, and he tells her to eat.

Elizabeth says Epiphany is the smartest person in the hospital. She knows there were medical reasons for Franco doing what he did. Epiphany says if she didn’t believe it, Milo would disappear him. Elizabeth says she doesn’t need protecting, and Epiphany asks if Jason knows that.

Franco tells Doc that he locked Drew in a toy chest and pushed him down the stairs. Doc says he’s putting adult judgment on a child’s actions. There could be number of reasons they need to explore. Franco says he’s marrying Elizabeth tomorrow, and asks if Doc can tell him that there’s no darkness inside, and he’ll never commit violence again. Doc says if he chooses to go forward without disclosure, he has to live with the consequences. Franco says he’s not doing this anymore. He’s not letting anything coming between him and the best thing that’s happened to him. He tells Doc not to blow it for him, and leaves. Doc’s phone rings. He says he did ask for the tests to be fast-tracked. He listens, and says, interesting. He wants a copy of everything.

Ava tells Griff that she’ll probably be on the phone half the night; he should go. Griff says he’s not going anywhere. She says okay, if he wants to listen to her wrangle with the claims adjuster. He says he’s not leaving until they talk about Valentine’s Day.

Sonny comes to the station, and is directed to Chase. Chase tells him that he picked up Mike wandering around the pier. Sonny goes into the interrogation room to see him. Mike is sorry for the trouble. He didn’t mean to break the lady’s sculpture. Sonny says it’s all taken care of. Mike says he wanted to go to Luke’s, but it wasn’t there. Sonny says it burned down, and Mike says he knew it; how could he forget? Sonny tells him it’s okay, but Mike says it’s not. You don’t forget things like that unless something is seriously wrong, and the doctor says he has Alzheimer’s. He starts to cry.

Mike says he screwed up this time; scaring the woman, and breaking things. Sonny says Ava has seen and done worse; one day at a time. He’s getting Mike out of there. He asks Chase what he has to do, but Chase says unfortunately, it’s not that simple. Mike was arrested for trespassing and vandalism. The reports aren’t even filed yet. He can’t let him go tonight.

Ava tells Griff there’s nothing to discuss. He asks why she’s pushing him away. He knows he should have called her about Kiki, but Ava says it’s not about Kiki; it’s about her. Since the surgery, she’s been afraid he’ll see her for who she really is, and find someone else who can be a saint like him. He says he sees and accepts her for who she is. She says he doesn’t understand. It’s new to her, being in love.

Anna tells Andre that it’s for the best not to say anything to Finn. The less people know, the better; most of all for her daughter. Andre says she opened a door that might be harder to close than she realizes. She says it’s mostly to protect her children. She can’t imagine how Robin would react. It would shatter Robin’s faith in her. The only gift she can give her other daughter is to not know who her father was. Andre respects her decision. Anna says, but he doesn’t agree, and he tells her it’s not his call. She asks if that’s as a shrink or as her friend? He needs to make arrangements for his room, and she offers him her place. He says maybe another time; he’s been looking forward to some privacy. I’ll bet.

David tells Kiki that life will be easier if she does what he says. She thanks him for dinner and the tutoring. He tells her organic chemistry is the weeding out course, and if she needs more help, just ask.

Elizabeth tells Epiphany that she hasn’t even had a chance to process that Jason is alive and home. She says the first time she saw him, he came out of nowhere and attacked Franco. Ever since then, she’s been trying to tell him Franco has changed, but he can only think about how Franco hurt Michael and Sam.

Dante, Jason, and Carly go to the phone booth. Carly wonders who would be calling her from out there. Um… someone up to no good? For a woman who’s so slick and trying to stay a step ahead all the time, she’s pretty dense.

Sonny tells Chase that he’ll call Dante, but Chase says it’s not going to change anything. Mike committed  a crime. Sonny says he was just diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Chase says, sorry; it must be hard for him. Sonny says he’ll compensate Ava, and it will all be over. Let him take his father home.

Ava tells Finn it’s the first time she’s ever been in a healthy relationship. It’s the first time she’s been in love with someone who’s actually good for her, and it scares her -a lot – so that’s it; he has it. She was going to tell him on Valentine’s Day that she loves him.

Alexis tells Finn that she enjoys their friendship, and never wants to lose it. She’s never going to sleep with him again. He agrees, and they pinky swear. He says now that his stomach has uncoiled, would she like to get something to eat? She says she always wants to eat. Anna sees them. Finn tells Alexis that his and Anna’s relationship was over before it started. She made an attempt to open up. She wanted to, but won’t, and he doesn’t know why.

Doc runs into Anna. He tells her that Faison’s diagnosis said that he had Huntington’s disease. It’s a genetic disorder that he could have passed on to his children.

Franco meets Elizabeth at the bar. He wanted to get a glimpse of her before midnight. Epiphany says that’s her cue to leave. Elizabeth thanks her, and gives her a hug. Epiphany hugs Franco, and tells him good luck, and if he hurts Elizabeth, he’ll have her to answer to.

Carly says the calls came at night. Why would someone call from out in the middle of nowhere? Dante says maybe it’s a prank. She says she heard an explosion. Dante says she can see it’s nothing. Carly starts wandering around, saying maybe they missed something. Dante tells Jason that Morgan was killed about a hundred yards from there, and he died in an explosion.

On Monday, Brad tells Julian he won’t be a part of his grandchild’s life, Ava asks Griff if he’s breaking up with her, and Josslyn asks Nelle if she’s getting back together with Michael.

🎢 How’s This for Digression?

Last week, I caught a marathon of Ash Vs the Evil Dead, which is returning to STARZ on Sunday, February 25th, 9 pm. You can also catch the second season there, earlier on Sunday. This is one of those shows I feel like I have no business watching. Ash is sexist and racist, and probably a bunch of other ists, but I still love him. I feel the same way about Two Broke Girls. It’s embarrassing, but they still make me laugh. Or at least snicker. Maybe I also feel a little bit guilty because I once mistook Garrett Morris for a homeless thief. For a couple of years, I worked in the Manufacturer’s Hanover bank in Rockefeller Center, and just about everyone who worked at NBC banked there, including the SNL cast. I didn’t normally work on the ground level, and was filling in for someone. Most of the news people and Dan Aykroyd (who was dating one of the tellers at the time) did their banking downstairs, and I had never met Garrett. He handed a counter deposit slip to me with only half of the account numbers filled in, saying he didn’t remember the rest. You need to know that this is a way thieves rip people off. They make a phony deposit using a counter slip, but say they don’t know their account number offhand. Shortly afterward, they try to cash a bogus check against the same account, saying they were just here and made a deposit. You’d be surprised with what grifters come up with. Anyway, it was very busy, and I had barely glanced up at the guy who looked like he hadn’t shaved in a few days, and was wearing a rumpled coat, and this was my first thought. Then I looked at the name. And looked at him again. Thank God I hadn’t said anything.

🚫 Right Now

I’m almost at the end of Get Out (on HBO rotation). Everybody is great, but IMO, Lil Rel Howery steals this film. His delivery is The. Best. I also love seeing some old character favorites like Stephen Root (News Radio) and Richard Herd (V). Nice to see it’s getting a lot of nods/awards. It’s confusing as to which category it belongs though, since it seems to have one all its own. Funny, creepy, and gory, wrapped in a message, the story is definitely unique.
