What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Diane tells Lulu they don’t want to overplay their hand. Nina’s absence at the hearing will speak volumes.

Nora tells Valentin that she wouldn’t be a good lawyer if she misrepresented his chances. She asks if he and Nina could put aside their personal differences for Charlotte’s sake.

At Crimson, Laura tells Nina that she has nothing against her; they have a lot in common. She’s lost years of her life too. Nina asks why she’s there, and Laura says she thinks she knows a way they can both get what they want.

Jordan comes to the hospital and asks where Julian is.

Julian tells Anna that Olivia-J wants GH, and passes out. Andre and Jordan come in. Anna tells them that Olivia is alive, and did this to Julian. Jordan says she promises they’ll get to the bottom of it, but let them do their job. Anna says Olivia is in the hospital somewhere, and they can’t let her escape.

Griff wakes up strapped to a table. Olivia says she knew that bump on the head wouldn’t keep him down long; he’s just like his father. She tells him that she’d explain if there was time, but they’ve been found out. He says he knows who she is, and she tells him that she’s Olivia Jerome, the person he’s going to spend the rest of his life with. Great.

Diane tells Lulu that she brought the social worker’s report, and it will present the kind of parents they’ll be for Charlotte. Lulu tells Dante what a great dad he is. She wonders what’s holding up Laura.

Laura says it’s clear that Nina and Charlotte love each other. Nina says if Valentin gets custody, that’s not a problem. Laura says she heard they were having issues; Maxie texted her. Laura thinks Nina is questioning what she knows about Valentin.

Nora asks Valentin if they have Nina’s support. He says she’s accepted certain truths about his life, but is becoming increasingly uneasy with them. Nora says that it’s better that Nina not be there at the beginning, rather than disappearing later, and Valentin says he told her not to come unless she’s in it for the long haul. Nora says where she comes from, that’s called an old tomato ultimatum, and never ends well.

Lucas talks to Alexis about Sam. She can’t believe that she came so close to losing Sam and Scout, and that she’d almost started to believe Julian. Lucas is shocked that Olivia is back. Alexis hopes that she’s far away. Valerie comes out of the elevator, and asks them to come with her.

Julian says Fred Gray botched it. Jordan asks if Gray was working with Olivia-J, but Julian says he’s the one who brokered the deal. Anna wonders why Olivia would come back to GH. Jullian tells her that Olivia wants what’s underneath it.

Griff asks where he is. Olivia-J says they don’t have time for questions, but they’re under the hospital, and he’s as exhausting as Robin. He asks where Robin is, and Olivia says she’s safe. She marvels at his resemblance to Duke, and asks if Duke ever talked about her. He tells her that he never met his father, and found out about him through Anna, and Olivia says her name is not to be spoken. She lights a candle, and asks if he feels something. She says it must be hard to work here with his father’s soul locked in the walls. Griff says his father’s soul is at peace. Olivia says she heard him cry out for vengeance and justice, but he got none of those things. His soul is locked in GH’s walls. He won’t be free of this mortal coil unless she helps him to get a new life. He needs a vessel to return to, and because of Griff, he has one.

Valentin tells Nora that Nina is passionate and compulsive. She’s angry with him, and not without reason. He doesn’t want her to do something impulsive at the hearing, and says she should stay at the office. Nora says they can work with that, and spins it to make Nina a role model. He says Nora really is the best, but Nora says she’d feel better if Nina was beside him in court.

Nina says that Laura knows nothing about Valentin, her, or their marriage, and not to disrespect her in her office. Laura says she knows about the Cassadines, but Nina says that Valentin didn’t grow up with them. Laura says maybe it’s genetic, and they all use secrets as currency. She asks if Valentin left Nina in the dark about something, and Nina says it’s none of her business. Laura says maybe things will work out or maybe one day Nina will wonder who’s she’s sleeping next to. If they split up, she’ll never see Charlotte again. If Lulu gets custody, she’ll make sure Nina is in Charlotte’s life. Nina asks what she has to do in return.

Griff says Olivia-J is insane, and Olivia says she’s tired of hearing that. He says Duke is dead, and she can’t bring him back. She insists that she can bring back the love of her life. She lights a candle, and says when the flame goes out, Duke has returned. Griff says he knows she loved him, and it’s hard to accept. She wants him to drink some forgetfulness cleansing tea. She says some call it a metaphor, but they need to cleanse his body like a factory reset, so Duke’s soul can return. He says he’s not drinking it. She puts a funnel in his mouth. I have to laugh because it all looks so silly.

Anna asks Julian what he means about underneath the hospital. Andre says there’s a chance he doesn’t know what he’s saying. He asks if Olivia-J was ever a psyche patient, and Anna says yes, about a thousand times. Andre thinks her file might be of use, and asks Jordan to confer. He tells Anna she’s in no position to be playing super spy. She tells him that she’s the most qualified, and he says she’s also the most vulnerable because of being on blood thinners. Jordan says Olivia won’t get away. Anna says she doesn’t answer to Jordan, and Andre asks her not to do anything reckless.

Olivia-J tells Griff to relax. She says he’s a good son, giving his father a second chance to live. Duke would be proud. She tells him it will be over before he knows it, and takes out a scalpel.

Valerie tells Alexis that there’s a threat. Anna joins them, and tells her about Julian being attacked by Olivia-J, and that they think she’s still in the hospital. Alexis stomps off to find Julian. Anna tells Lucas about how Olivia wants what’s underneath the hospital. He tells her Tony was blackmailed into working in Helena’s lab under the hospital, but he figured the fire destroyed the lab. Anna deputizes him (sort of), and says Olivia wants Helena’s lab.

Valentin comes into the courtroom, and Diane tells Lulu to focus. Nora tells Valentin to stay calm and stable. Diane is a master at innuendo and rumor, and passing it off as fact. She tells him not to take the bait when she slings dirt. Diane tells Lulu to let Nina’s absence to speak for itself.

Laura tells Nina that neither Lulu or Valentin seem to be more qualified than the other. Nina says that Charlotte loves Valentin, and Lulu scares her. Laura asks her to testify that her marriage is a sham. Nina says it might be shaky right now, but her marriage is real. Laura says they’re already fighting, and asks if Nina is confident that their marriage can withstand Valentin getting Charlotte and not needing her anymore. Nina says that Laura is playing with her feelings. Laura admits she is, but nothing she’s said is a lie. Nina says Valentin has done nothing to hurt her, and Laura wants her to stab him in the back. Laura says she’s in control, not him. She can testify on his behalf or tell the truth and still keep Charlotte in her life. She asks Nina to think about it for Charlotte’s sake, and hopes she sees Nina in court.

Alexis bursts into Julian’s room.

Andre looks over Olivia-J’s hospital files. He says she was sent to Ferncliff after her dead brother tried to kill her. She was briefly in a coma, and reverted to a childlike state when she woke up. According to the notes, she believed she was a seven or eight-year-old. Andre says it can be a psychosis that’s a response to an emotional trauma where the mind retreats from reality. The person can’t process particular pain or loss, and latches onto a fantasy.

Anna goes to the hospital basement. She sees Olivia-J’s fingerprints by the secret door and opens it. Olivia drips Griff’s blood onto the candle flame. She talks to Duke, saying she’s prepared a vessel for him, and he has to choose to live again. The door opens, but it’s not Duke, it’s Anna.

Laura gets to the court just in time. Lou Judge Rawles asks for opening statements. Lulu goes first. Blah-blah-blah daughter I didn’t know about blah-blah feelings blah-blah a mother’s connection. Zzzzzzzz…. Wake me when it’s Valentin’s turn. Lulu says she can offer Charlotte a stable home and a brother who adores her (really? I don’t think they’ve been in the same vicinity more than twice), and a loving father. She asks for full custody.

Anna says, so she is alive. Olivia-J says it wouldn’t be a reunion for her and Duke without Anna crashing the party. Olivia holds up the scalpel, and says Duke is coming back. She’s found a body to house his soul, and unless Anna wants them both to be lost, she’ll put the gun down.

Alexis says if Julian hadn’t been such a tool, her granddaughter wouldn’t have been born in the cold. Julian gets sappy about having a new grandchild, but Alexis says he’s not going anywhere near her.

Anna puts down the gun. She tells Olivia-J not to hurt Griff, but Olivia says don’t tell her what to do. They struggle over the scalpel. Of course it has to be a scalpel.

Nina looks at the picture from Charlotte.

Valentin talks about how neither he nor Lulu were willing participants in the embryo implantation, but when he found out he had a child brewing, he found a surrogate. He was in the delivery room when Charlotte was born, and was with her for all her firsts. He’s already established that Charlotte knows and loves him, and he’s been the one constant in her life. He says Lulu is attached to idea of Charlotte in the abstract “my daughter,” but doesn’t know her as a person. She’s not a possession. She’s a beautiful little girl who needs stability and constancy. This is Charlotte’s life and childhood, and her needs are more important than his or the Falconaris’.

Anna and Olivia-J struggle over the scalpel.

Valerie says everyone is accounted for except Griff. Jordan says he’s Duke’s son.

More struggle. Anna tells Olivia-J to stop before someone gets hurt. Olivia says that Duke is coming for her, not Anna, and she’s going to make sure she’s dead this time. She throws Anna down, but Anna kicks her. Olivia slashes at Anna with the scalpel, and one or both of them flash back to when they were younger. (And so was I – sob!) Olivia tells Anna that she’s bleeding, and she is. A lot.

Diane presents the social worker’s report, and the judge wants a quick break to read it. Nora also has affidavits for her. Lulu says she almost believed Valentin’s statement. Diane tells her to focus on what they’re presenting; any character witness can swing things either way. Nina walks in.

Alexis asks Julian if it was his idea for Olivia-J to be her sponsor. Lucas comes in, and Julian says it wasn’t like that, and he has a lot to tell her. She tells him to save it; she’s done with him. She’s going home to throw the safe deposit key in the trash.

The candle goes out, and Griff wakes up with a start, startling me. Olivia whacks Anna a good one, and she’s out. Griff breaks the straps like he’s the Hulk.

Jordan wants the hospital swept. She goes to Julian’s room and says they think Olivia-J is targeting Griff. She asks Julian about the basement, and he says that Olivia has Anna.

Olivia-J is about to shoot Anna when Griff appears. Olivia asks, could it be? and Griff says, it’s him – Duke.  I gotta say, Griff looks super-hot, and I would swear he was really Duke come back from the dead if I didn’t think he was just trying to get the better of Olivia. Or is Duke really back? There were vampires in Port Charles at one time…

Tomorrow, Carly threatens Nelle, Nina tells the truth, and Olivia-J tells Griff that Anna has to die.

The Haves and the Have Nots

Hannah tells the desk sergeant that her daughter is Candace Young, and the sergeant asks her to wait there.

Rookie tells Justin he’s sorry for shooting at Jeffrey. Justin says they were just goofing around. Rookie says it looked like Jeffrey had gotten the best of him, and didn’t know Jeffrey was his friend. Justin insists Jeffrey isn’t his friend confusing all of us. Justin says he’ll squelch the report, so Rookie doesn’t get in trouble. The desk sergeant comes to get Justin, who apparently runs the police department.

Justin approaches Hannah. He asks if she knows where Candace is. She says she does, and he asks where. She asks how Candace is going to be arrested. Justin asks if she has weapons. Hannah doesn’t think so, and he says they’ll just ask her to come with them. She says she has Candace’s son, her grandson, and doesn’t want him to see her get arrested. Justin says they’ll do their best, and asks if Hannah can entice her outside. Hannah says she’ll try, but she wants to be sure. Justin promises they’ll wait for her to come outside to take her into custody. Hannah gives him the hotel and room number. She asks if he can wait until Quincy Jr. is on the school bus. He asks who she is to Candace, and Hannah tells him that she’s Candace’s mother. He asks if she knows how Quincy Maxwell died. She says she doesn’t, and Justin says he was stabbed over 40 times. Hannah tells him to look up Quincy’s record. Justin asks about Quincy and Candace’s relationship. Hannah says he was violent, and if she did anything, it was probably in self-defense. Hannah starts to get defensive herself.

Justin says there had to be more than one assailant. The medical examiner thinks there might have been a man involved, and he asks if Hannah can think of anyone. Hannah says she can’t, and Justin gives her his card. He says they don’t even have a warrant yet, so they’ll be waiting for her call. He tells her she did the right thing.

After Hannah leaves, Justin calls Jeffrey. Jeffrey doesn’t answer.

Charles tells Candace that he doesn’t know if he really wants the presidency. She says it’s POTUS, and asks if he knows how many men and women have dreamt of that. He says it can be stifling, and the bubble is small. He grew up in Detroit by way of Tennessee, and it’s debilitating. He loves politics, but not the Whitehouse. Not without his wife, raising his kids alone. He says he’s a good guy, and Candace says her chief-of-staff will hook him up.

Charles says he’s going to be president, and can’t sleep with a woman he just met. Candace says he’s single and they like each other, so what’s up with that? He repeats that he can’t. She asks if it’s the bubble or his wife. He says he was with his wife for fifteen years and doesn’t know how to do this. He says Candace seems bored, and she asks if he likes strong women. He says he does, and calls her beautiful, but he can’t do this. Candace says what if she told him she wasn’t interested in ever letting anyone know? He says he’s heard that before, and then it’s used against you. She asks what about her reputation, and he asks how he would ruin it. She says she’s worked for everything she has, and wouldn’t want to waste it. She wants people to know she worked to get where she is, so she’s not interested in ever letting this moment be known. He asks if she promises. She does, and he says he finds her impossible to resist. She says most men do.

She tells him to stop thinking and just be Charles for an hour or two. They start to make out. She leads him to the bed. Where there’s a bunch of crap. You might want to clean that off. They get busy in the middle of all the papers and books and stuff. Ow!

Jeffrey reads the texts from Justin, telling him how the police think more than one person was involved in Quincy’s murder. Veronica asks if she needs to take the phone away, and tells him to get in the room. He goes in and sits on the bed. Melissa comes out in lingerie. Jeffrey says that does nothing for him and she says it was Veronica’s idea.

Candace and Charles bask in the afterglow. Jeffrey leaves a message for Candace to call him back.

Melissa asks Jeffrey what’s going on; he seems bothered. He says she’s why he’s bothered, and she asks what’s really going on. She can tell there’s something else. He says he got in a fight. She asks if it was bad, and he asks if she’s acting like she cares. She says she’s not acting, but forget it. She asks if the officer outside was the lover who pissed him off, and by the body language, it seemed like something casual between them. He says yes, Justin is his lover and they just had sex and it was good. He goes on about it, but Melissa is unfazed. Jeffrey continues with TMI, and she rolls her eyes.

Veronica walks in and asks, what happened then? She heard him telling his story, so finish. Melissa tries to intervene, but Veronica says she’s not talking to her; she wants to know how low Jeffrey can go. She tells him, you work, Miss Thing, and he says she’s been drinking. She brings up Jeffrey testifying, and tells Melissa that he’s done all kinds of things to her, including putting a knife in her chest. She says he doesn’t understand she’ll always be here. She doesn’t know what was going on between him and Officer Too Friendly, but this is his future.

Melissa says if Jeffrey wants to be with a man, he should. Veronica starts laughing. She says Melissa is bought and paid for, and it’s not to think. She tells Jeffrey not to see that man again. He says he’s done, and she needs to let this go. He tells her to go to bed and sleep it off. She says she’s not afraid of him, and he calls her sick. She says she’s not trying to hurt him: she’s trying to make his life better. He says, by locking him up? She begs him to try a few more times. She’s giving him freedom, and he needs to honor it. She says enough disgusting talk, and asks Melissa what she thinks. Melissa says she doesn’t think. Veronica tells Jeffrey to enjoy his future wife.

Melissa apologizes to Jeffrey. She puts her hand on his shoulder and he tells her move. She says she’s sorry for everything, and for him being involved, and starts to cry. She says Veronica should be asleep by now, and he can leave; she’ll cover for him. Jeffrey says he doesn’t want her to do anything for him ever. Melissa says it’s wrong the way Veronica is treating him and holding her father over her head. She has Melissa the way she has Jeffrey. Her father worked hard his whole life, and she thought she could help. It seemed like a way out, but it’s deeper in. Jeffrey says he can’t go to jail.

She asks what he did, and he says murdered someone. She says with Veronica as a mother, she’s surprised he’s not a serial killer. She realizes he’s telling the truth, and he says she should be afraid of him. She says death doesn’t seem like that bad of an idea, and asks why he did it. He says he was being pushed. She asks if he’s being pushed now. He says yes, and he snapped. Melissa says she just needs enough money to take care of her dad. Veronica will be asleep on the couch soon. He says he’s not doing anything to his mom, and Melissa says she just meant if he wanted to see his friend, but he has to be back by 4 am, since she comes upstairs like clockwork. She tells Jeffrey good-night.

Oscar calls Jim. He has Wyatt’s address, and Jim says they used to own the building. Oscar says it will be hard to find out where the money is offshore, but he’s working on it. Jim is impressed. Jim calls George and says he’ll help him trap Candace in exchange for one thing. George says he’ll give him all the photos. Jim says that If he does this, he wants it over.

Jim looks outside and calls to Kathryn. He asks if Hannah has Amanda’s car. Kathryn says she gave it to her. Jim wonders what’s going on with the two of them.

Kathryn goes out to the car. Hannah tells her that she needs a criminal lawyer. Kathryn asks what she’s done now, but Hannah says it’s for her son and daughter. Kathryn says that Hannah knows how much she hates Candace, but Hannah says that Candace is still her daughter, and the favor is for her. Kathryn asks what Benny has to do with it, but Hannah says she can’t say. She asks if Kathryn will help her. Kathryn says she’ll make some calls, but as much as she hates the bitch, Veronica is the best. Hannah says that Veronica is her friend, and Kathryn is like, whatever you say. She tells Hannah that she’ll call Marty in the morning. Hannah thanks her, and says she has to get back.

Charles and Candace bask in more afterglow. They have pillow talk, and he asks how many men she’s been with. She says the only thing that matters is who she’s with at the time, but she used to see a lot of men. He asks what’s changed. She tells him that she’s getting older and wants to settle down. He asks for her story. She asks what’s his story, and he tells her that he’s running for president. She says most stories are more complicated, and he says the reality is that she can’t know. She asks why. Charles tells her that he wants to be president, he just met her, and they end up in bed. His wife would never have done this, since she was conservative. Candace thinks he’s a wannabe freak, and maybe his wife was too. He wonders if he said anything wrong, and she says no problem. He tells her that it would hurt a lot of people if this came out, and that he can’t have this come out. She picks up her phone and says she can.

Meanwhile, David and Erica are going at it. Erica sees War in the doorway.

Next time, the finale – Jim wants a night with Candace, Hannah asks Benny what he did, and Candace tells Charles that he messed with the wrong female.

Important information. If Loving You is Wrong starts its new season on Tuesday, March 21st, at 9 pm.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Harrison! Giggy! Schnooky! LisaV tells Ken that if she was Kyle, she’d be more pissed off at LisaR than Eden. She tells him about how LisaR called Kyle an enabler. He thinks she just says whatever pops into her head. I think he’s right. I have to mention, I’ve been thinking about Ken all week, and how emotional he got over the disgusting dog meat trade. Being British, he’s not the type to normally show his feelings, and I thought it took a very strong man to reveal that to the world. My husband bought something from Amazon made in China the other day, and I almost popped him in the nose.

Kyle meets Dorit for lunch. Erika meets Eileen for lunch in another location. Erika says she’s going to visit her mom in Georgia, and that her mom is in a play. She tells Eileen that her mother has had a resurgence, and Eileen calls it cute. Let’s not diminish another woman’s accomplishments or anything. Bleh. I’m liking Eileen less as this show goes on.

Kyle tells Dorit about an event happening at her store. They have some kind of drink debuting, and The Fat Jewish is going to help with the promotion. Dorit says that Kim was a rock star last night, and we flash back to her basically telling LisaR off.

In her interview, Eileen says LisaR can often get in trouble for what she says, but she’d rather deal with someone like her. She seems to think this falls under honesty, although many of the Wives have a skewed view of what that is. News flash. It doesn’t mean just saying whatever floats through your brain.

LisaR thinks that she and Kim had a moment of release and need to move on now. We flash back to them hugging it out, and Lisa thanking Kim for being open. Lisa says if you hang onto resentment and anger, it only poisons you. She talks some nonsense about positive energy.

Dorit says when someone keeps doing the same thing over and over, it’s hard to get past it. Dr. Phil calls this stepping on your foot. You can’t forgive someone for stepping on your foot if they’re still stepping on it. She says LisaR makes you think you can trust her, but you blink, and then you can’t. She says Kim and LisaR have been able to work things out – for now – but wonders how many times it’s going to happen. She gives Eden some leeway for being influenced by her relationship with her own sister.

Kyle meets with The Fat Jewish. She asks him to call LisaR out on saying she’s sick, but showing shoe shopping on her Instagram. He calls her, and she says she has the stomach flu. He says she was shopping earlier, but she says the doctor was next to Sak’s. Eden arrives with her friend, Dru.

Dorit trips out of the limo, literally, and Eileen and Camille arrive together. The event is in full swing, and Erika is drinking wine out of the bottle with a straw. LisaV wonders why Kyle is calling a Jew fat, and Kyle has to explain. She introduces The Fat Jewish to everyone. Erika gushes over some jeans. The Fat Jewish takes his shirt off and gives Kyle a lap dance. PK tells LisaV that Ken has been giving him a hard time all night. Erika compliments Dorit’s haircut, and Dorit says it’s the first compliment she’s ever gotten from her. Erika says it’s not, so we flash back and she’s correct. Dorit wonders why Erika seems to have a wall up.

LisaV talks about the trip to Hong Kong she’s taking to stop the dog meat trade. Kyle is coming along, because Ken can’t go, and suddenly, everyone else is coming too. In her interview, Lisa says why not invite The Fat Jewish as well.

Commercial break why do they advertise next week’s “whole new episode,” when we’re not done watching this week’s yet?

LisaV instructs her housekeeper about the different dressings she’s made for a lunch she’s having for Dorit, Erika and Kyle. They’re trying out a new wine for the restaurant and she wants to do it right. Dorit hugs Erika for way too long, and even I get uncomfortable. Kyle arrives, and announces that her sister Kim is a grandmother. She says there was quite a crowd at the birth. Lisa says she has a bone to pick with Erika, who invited Eileen to Hong Kong. In her interview, Lisa says the last time they went away, it was a bloody nightmare. She does think it’s a good idea for both LisaR and Eileen to promote the cause though, because they have a few dozen followers on social media. They agree that Eileen is a nice person, but Dorit says she wouldn’t trust her with her innermost secrets. Erika thinks she should only trust PK with those. Erika says she does have a couple of close friends, but she never wanted to be as trusting as her mother. She says she watches and measures when it comes to herself, although that doesn’t mean she’s not sympathetic or empathetic with other people. Dorit says she’s hard to read, and she’s trusting until someone gives her a reason not to be. In her interview, Kyle says she thinks she understands. Erika is guarded because people have judged her. Dorit says it makes her hard to read, and Erika says she’s a different animal.

Erika’s makeup artists, Clyde and Preston, accompany her in the private jet to Atlanta. She says she’s a Southern girl, and she’ll always be a tomboy too. She’s capable of both camping and glamming.

Kyle brings a family cradle to Kim for the new baby. Kim shows her pictures. Kim says it was the most amazing experience of her life. Kyle tells Kim about the trip to Hong Kong. Kim still isn’t sure about the experience at Kyle’s party. She says LisaR is always like, I made a mistake, and Kyle does an imitation of her saying, “own it.” Kim says she doesn’t have the energy to expel for these people, and I relate.

Erika rents a car and heads to her grandparents’ house. Her mom’s fiancé, Chip, greets them. She says it’s great and emotional at the same time. They look at family photos. She talks about how her grandparents always came to the rescue when her mother needed help, and her grandfather was the only father she ever knew. She tells Preston and Clyde about her grandmother’s battle with Alzheimer’s, and it sounds dreadful. She used to speak to her grandmother every day, and when the phone calls stopped, that was the hardest part. She says it was a marker that the woman she knew was no longer, and to see someone so vibrant and strong slip away is inhumane.

Erika’s mom, wearing a Pat the Puss T-shirt, gets home, and we see where Erika got her good looks from. In her interview, Erika tells us that her mother was a piano teacher, but Erika stunk at piano, so she became a singer and dancer. Her mother was 18 when she had Erika, and did the best she could. Erika says she was never cut any breaks, but her mother loved her and wasn’t a bullsh*tter. She says it was like throwing a kid in a pool to learn to swim, but she didn’t drown. Her mom talks about the play. She thinks it’s good to be involved in something like theater, because it keeps her going and alert. Erika says it’s important to be creative and continue to express herself. Thank God she didn’t say it was cute.

Giggy! Harrison! Ken! LIsaV and Ken go to the dog rescue. Lisa is so excited, she slides down the bannister. She wants to make the rescue center like a lifestyle shop. She says there’s going to be a spa where Vanderpups can get the best blow job in Hollywood. Ha-ha! That LisaV, she’s a real card.

LisaR comes by. Giggy is too precious for words with his little bald behind and pom-pom paws. LisaR says she’s still not 100% well. LisaV explains that they started Vanderpump Pets as a company, but then they realized what was happening in China, so they expanded operations and are also making a documentary. She tells LIsaR they need someone on all fours, and asks her if she’d like to come along to Hong Kong, and put the Dubai trip behind them. In her interview, she says that she wants to mend fences, but isn’t going to forget what happened. It’s not a grudge; it’s being smart. I’m totally on board. That LisaV, she’s also very wise. LisaR is glad to hear it. She’s moved on, but hearing this from LisaV is like getting a bonus check. LisaV asks for LisaR’s feather eyelashes as some kind of commitment, but in her interview, she says she wants LisaR to leave with bald eyes. LisaR hands her lashes over, and in her interview, LisaV says maybe she can manipulate LisaR, and wonders if she’ll carry the bags.

Commercial break with important information. The Real Housewives of New York starts its new season on April 5th, Wednesday, at 9 pm.

In the morning, Erika and her mom go to the cemetery. They take a golf cart to go in. Her mother says she has a fear of being buried and wants cremation. In her interview, Erika says she was closer to her grandmother. I hate to say this, but this looks like a pet cemetery. The headstones are like flattish rocks and it’s in the middle of a forest. I don’t see any other graves around either. What’s going on with this??? They put flowers by the stones, and sit to talk. Erika says she didn’t want to cry today, and her mom says she didn’t cry as a kid. Erika says she was treated like an adult a lot, but she knows her mom was under a lot of pressure. Her mom says it made her a tough old bird (geez, how old is Erika? 40?), and Erika says she gets accused of being cold. She has little patience for crybabies and people who need a lot of hand-holding. I can understand where she’s coming from. I’m not unsympathetic either, but when someone is whining about the same problem they were whining about five years ago, I tend to think they don’t really want to resolve the problem, and start to inch away. Erika’s mom says she’s the sweetest, and Erika appreciates her feelings being validated. Her mom tells Erika that she’s been good to the family, and her grandparents would be proud. We end with a hug.

Next time, Hong Kong phooey, the girls discourage Eden sleeping with someone she doesn’t know, LisaR confronts Dorit, and Erika calls Dorit on her bs. Sounds like it’s not going to be a great trip for Dorit.

Christy signed up to have neck surgery, and Elena and Tonya went to a spa for some kind of freezing treatment that’s supposed to help with inflammation. Briana is also dealing with postpartum depression, and Jasmine begged her to get some help before it gets worse.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Jason talks to Spinelli on the phone, saying he can’t find Sam. He asks Spinelli to hack into the highway cameras. He continues calling for Sam, but she can’t reply loud enough for him to hear her.

Julian tells Olivia-J that Sam is pregnant and fell off a bridge. Olivia says she can’t help it if Sam was so stupid to get in her way.

Finn looks at the pharm guy’s card. He asks if a vote has been made, and Monica says they’re waiting. In the boardroom, Obrecht is glad she could put an end to it. Michael tells Tracy that’s how it works; sometimes the vote goes against you.

Nelle calls Michael and leaves a message. She says she’s at work, and everything she needed to do is done. She’ll see him later.

Not so fast. She opens the door, and Bobbie is standing there.

Carly puts the flash drive into Nelle’s laptop. She hears Sonny say that under no circumstances should Carly know that he and Nelle had sex. Her phone rings. It’s Sonny, but she doesn’t pick up.

At the hospital, Sonny wonders why Carly isn’t answering. At Nelle’s apartment, Carly hears Sonny saying it’s his fault and he takes full responsibility.

Tracy tells Michael that her father didn’t have time for failures. She asks how much Obrecht got for her vote. Obrecht says her conduct is above reproach. She says if the Quartermaines are determined to own a hospital, why don’t they buy one? Tracy says that General Hospital is the best there is, and it’s not going down on her watch. She walks out, but they need her to certify the vote.

Tracy tells Hayden that they lost. Monica says GH is gone. Michael sees Sonny, and tells him they’ve voted to sell the hospital for real estate. Sonny asks if he needs money, but Michael says in the end, it was more about politics. Michael sees the call from Nelle, and tells Sonny that he has plans with her and has to go.

Nelle tells Bobbie that Carly has the day off, and Bobbie says she knows. Bobbie gets snarky, and Nelle asks if anything is wrong. Bobbie says things are finally right again. Nelle might as well pack her bags; her game is over.

Carly plays the file again, and hears Nelle says that maybe they should tell the truth. Carly thinks back over the past few months. She closes the laptop and cries.

Sam can hear Jason, but he can’t hear her. He tells Spinelli he needs some help. Sam says don’t go. Jason tells Spinelli to call him back. He says he could use a sign right now, and looks everywhere except where Sam is, and she passes out.  The full moon comes out from behind the clouds, and he finally sees her.

Olivia-J tells Julian that she did nothing wrong, and would never intentionally harm a child. She says she never gets any sympathy from him, even though he tried to kill her. Julian says he’s been running around in circles, doing her bidding for months. She says that’s only because she blackmailed him. He never made amends to her, and he hasn’t changed. He’s selfish and self-absorbed, the way he was when he shot her in the back years ago. She, however, is a new woman. She has grown, and isn’t a pushover anymore. It’s time he learned that. I don’t think I would have ever called Olivia a pushover.

Jason calls for an ambulance, and slides down to Sam. She tells him about Olivia-J and seeing the keyring in the car, and he says he knows. She says the contractions are coming too fast.

Hayden tells Finn that Laura wasn’t there, and Tracy says as long as there’s a majority vote, it’s legal. Monica says Obrecht broke the tie, and she cut off her nose to spite her face. Finn asks for fifteen minutes, telling them to stall.

Sonny says he thought Michael and Nelle were just friends. Michael says things changed last night, and tells Sonny about getting stuck in the cabin. Sonny wonders if Nelle asked for a ride there, and Michael says he’s the one who offered. Tracy interrupts, telling Michael she needs him. Sonny stomps to the elevator.

Nelle says she doesn’t know what Bobbie is talking about, and can’t catch a break with her. She says except for the one time they argued, she’s only been respectful and accommodating. Bobbie obviously dislikes her, but they should move on for Michael’s sake; he doesn’t share her opinion. Bobbie says that’s because he doesn’t know the truth. She tells Nelle that she destroys anyone who targets her family.

Carly wanders around Nelle’s apartment, and flashes back to various interactions with Nelle and Bobbie. She thinks about Nelle talking about her secret boyfriend. Come on, Carly, you’re smarter than this. She talks to herself, saying Nelle doesn’t know anything about payback, but she will.

Olivia-J tells Julian that she’s tired of him arguing with her. She could have killed him months ago, but didn’t. He says she tried, but she says she wasn’t successful and apologized. She wishes she could believe him, but when she looks at him, she sees such little growth. She says he murdered Duke, and would test the patience of Buddha. She thinks it might be doing him a favor to kill him, so he could start over. She doesn’t think he can be saved in this incarnation.

Sam tells Jason the baby is coming, and he says they can do this. She tells him that she’s scared there’s something wrong. He tells her to breathe.

Nelle says Bobbie doesn’t think she’s good enough for Michael. Bobbie says that’s an understatement, but he’ll find out who she really is, and that she messed with his family. Nelle says she caught on to Felicia. She didn’t tell Carly the whole truth because it’s not a happy story. She says she truly cares for them, and wants what’s best. Bobbie asks how was it best when she slept with Carly’s husband?

Carly says this can’t be happening, and flashes back to what Bobbie told her, and some questionable moments with Sonny when they talked about Nelle. She opens the door to Sonny standing there.

Nelle asks what Bobbie is talking about, and Bobbie says Nelle and Sonny making fun of her daughter. She tells Nelle to sit down and shut up. She calls Nelle a conniving little tramp who took advantage of Carly’s generosity. What’s really vile, is how she used Morgan’s death to worm her way into Sonny’s bed. Nelle says she doesn’t understand. Bobbie says she knows what she needs to know, and so does Carly.

Sonny asks why Carly is at Nelle’s apartment. Carly says Nelle is her assistant; why is he there? He says he was trying to call, and she didn’t pick up. She says why not talk here.

Jason tries to keep Sam calm, but she still thinks something is wrong. She makes him promise that he’ll take the baby home. Port Charles has the Slowest. Ambulance. Ever.

Tracy comes back to the meeting with Monica and Hayden. Obrect objects to them being there, and Gray says, let’s just get going. Tracy says there are some objections to Hayden’s report. Michael says his people told him that she’s been presenting the worst possible scenario to the board, suggesting the worst possible outcome. Tracy says she can’t certify the vote based on faulty projections. Gray doesn’t think they need to, but Tracy wants to hear what the other analysts had to say.

Finn calls the pharm guy. He asks if the offer is still on the table. I’m not quite sure if the Obrecht is going to change her vote unless something is specifically in it for her.

Michael says research can lead to patents and new treatments, as well as better medical care. He tells them about Finn’s discovery, and sys GH is known for their research. Obrecht interrupts, but Michael says he has the numbers. Gray wants to certify selling, but Finn pops in, saying they don’t have to. They need cash to put GH in the black and keep it there. If a donor stepped forward, they could call for another vote. Obrecht says no such angel exists, but Finn says it does; it’s him. He explains about selling the patent, and says they can have all the money.

Nelle asks if Bobbie told Carly. Bobbie says she did, and Nelle says she has no idea what she’s done. Bobbie says that she opened Carly’s eyes to the truth. She says Carly and Sonny lost their son, and were grieving and fighting to survive. Nelle blew them apart and their whole family. She asks if Nelle stopped to think of the others. Nelle says this wasn’t the way it was supposed to be. Bobbie says no one wants to know her, Michael least of all, but Nelle is gone.

Carly tells Sonny that the wedding vows caught her off guard, but he insisted, and she’s been thinking about it ever since.

Jason tells Sam one big push and they can take the baby home. Sam says it hurts. He tells her he loves her and she can do this. He says she’s his phoenix. They’re going to rise one more time together.

Tracy says they should scrap the previous vote. Gray protests, and Obrecht says how do they know Finn is telling the truth. He shows them a fax from the pharm guy. Tracy asks all in favor of voiding the vote, and everyone except Gray and Obrecht raise their hands. Michael votes to accept the Finn’s gift, and everyone agrees except Gray. Tracy says they won and GH stays open. Gray steps away from the table. Finn watches him.

Scout is here! Jason holds her. Sam asks if she’s okay, and why isn’t she crying?

Olivia-J tells Julian that their dad said he was a disappointment. When he left the witness protection program, he had the opportunity to live up to the Jerome name, but blew it, and she’s glad their father didn’t live to see it. Julian says she’ll have her victory, and he’ll be out of her life. Gray texts Julian, saying the deal fell through. Olivia says the Quartermaines saved the hospital and Julian failed her.

Sam asks what’s happening. Jason gives the baby CPR, and says she’s not breathing. Sam begs Jason to save her.

Carly tells Sonny that she wants to come up with something special, since they’ll be getting married for the sixth time. She’s come up with draft, and would like his input.

Bobbie calls Carly and leaves a message about what happened. She says she confronted Nelle. She’s sorry, but it just came out. She says if Nelle has half a brain, she’s out of town. Bobbie thinks they’ve heard the last of her.

Nelle runs into Michael at the hospital. He says he has good news for once.

Carly asks why Sonny is nervous, and he says he feels like it’s an invasion of privacy. Carly says he wouldn’t cross a boundary not to offend Nelle, but offended Carly by screwing her. D’oh! I would have done a spit-take if something had been in my mouth.

Scout finally breathes, and Sam has passed out. Jason tells her to wake up, but it’s not happening.

Tomorrow, Nelle tells Michael everything, Carly confronts Sonny, and Olivia-J tells Julian that it’s strike three for him.

The Haves and the Have Nots

I love this show. Tyler Perry is brilliant – and the hardest working man in show business. HAHN isn’t exactly intellectually stimulating, but it’s extremely entertaining and he definitely slips in lessons to be learned.

We revisit the tableau at Wyatt’s apartment. Jeffrey moves, and the officer shoots. Justin runs to Jeffrey. He tells the officer that they were just playing around, and says get out of here, rookie. Rookie leaves. Miraculously missed by the bullet, Jeffrey tells Justin to leave him alone and get out. Justin leaves. I gotta say, I’m starting to like Justin, and I’m feeling badly about this.

Wyatt asks who that was, and Jeffrey says a friend. Wyatt tells Jeffrey he needs to stay away from that guy. He looks out the window, and says Justin isn’t leaving. Jeffrey says he will, and he has to go. Wyatt doesn’t want him to leave, or at least wait until Justin is gone. Jeffrey repeats for Wyatt to call the number he gave to him, and leaves. Wow. Two seconds out of the hospital, and Wyatt is a mess again.

Candance kisses a sleeping Quincy Jr., and sneaks out of the hotel room.

David walks Erica back to her room. She says good-night, and he’s like, really. He says he won’t judge her, and they kiss. She says that’s huge (no, not that, she means sleeping together), and he begs a little.

Oscar sees Candace in the hotel lobby, and tries to get her to work with him. She tells him to back off. She calls Erica, who is now making out with David on her bed. Candace says she knocked on the door, and asks if David is there. Erica pretends Candace is someone else, who’s asking about borrowing clothes. Candace asks if it’s going to be an all-nighter, and tells Candace to put what she needs in the hallway.

Erica leaves the bed to get the stuff together for Candace, and David makes himself comfortable. When she comes back, they get busy. David’s phone rings. It’s Jim. He wants the number of the guy who got his money back after Candace blackmailed him. David tells Jim that he’s with a female friend. Jim tells him to text the number now, before he gets busier.

Kathryn comes downstairs, and asks what Jim is still doing there. He says it is his house. She asks if he has a whore to screw, and he says he’s not interested in the one closest to him. Oooh. That’s beyond snap. She says someone thinks so, and goes back upstairs, bringing some wine with her. There’s a masseuse in her room, and Jim says he’s not interested in her. She says he’s paid to do a job, and she’s getting a massage. Jim asks why she’s trying to seduce him. Kathryn says she’s not; he wants her. She asks the masseuse if he’s ever had a sugar mama and if he wants one. The kid says no to both, and Jim thinks he should leave. He changes that to get the hell out and he’s gone.

Jim asks Kathryn if she’s lost her mind. He tells her that seducing a child isn’t the way to get him to leave. She says she really was just getting a massage, but she wanted to bug him. Regardless, she could get a man if she wanted to. Jim asks what if he goes to the press, and Kathryn says she doesn’t give a damn. She asks if Jim has looked for Wyatt, and he says he has. She says she can’t lose him, and Jim says they won’t. He’s going to find Wyatt and get the money back. Kathryn says he can get out after that, and Jim says she should get out. She says maybe she will.

Jim calls Oscar. David has already given him a heads up. Jim explains that he needs to find his son. He also needs to get back his son’s inheritance. He tells Oscar that he has no idea where Wyatt is, and Oscar says he’ll get right on it. He wants ten percent, but Jim offers him five. Oscar says he can find someone cheaper then, so Jim agrees to ten.

Candace talks to bartender Rocky, and orders a martini. She asks if he’s running the boys, and he says not as well as she is. She orders two martinis. She sees Charles sitting at a table for two, and walks over to him. He tells her to leave him alone please. She asks Rocky to give her a glass of whatever he’s drinking, and she brings it over to him. She pretends to be working there, and then sits down. He says that he doesn’t need anything else, and she says she’s not a waiter; he didn’t even look at her. She asks if it’s been a long day, and he says it has. She introduces herself, and then pretends to suddenly recognize him. He asks to keep it low key. Rocky brings over the martinis.

Charles asks what she does, and she says that’s personal. He says he’s about to be President of the United States, and she says, don’t sound so happy. He says he’s just getting used to losing everything normal. He asks if she’s a reporter, and she tells him no. He requests that she take the battery out of her phone. He says as president, he won’t be allowed a smart phone. She gives Rocky her purse, and tells Charles to relax; she’s not wearing a wire, and there are no cameras pointed toward them. He says he has his reasons for noticing that, but what are hers? She says she’s observant, and he says, or in a business where she has to look out for that. She asks what he’s saying, and he asks if she’s a working girl. She tells him to have a good night, and goes to the bar.

Oscar asks if he can buy her a drink, and she says no. She tells him to get lost. Oscar says he’ll cover her tab, and she says she’s not interested. He says she got Charles’s attention, and if she doesn’t want people to think she’s a whore, maybe she shouldn’t dress like one. He gives her the key to a room that adjoins Charles’s room. Charles is leaving in three days. Oscar tells her to make Charles think she’s not a whore, and propositions her. She slaps him, and Rocky tells him to get out. She tells Rocky to bill everything to her room. She leaves, and Charles follows. He gets in the elevator with her. Isn’t he going to think something’s up if her room is next to his?

He asks if she’s okay, and she says that she’s fine. She says the future president thinks she’s a whore, and so does the guy at the bar. He says he’s sorry, and addresses her by name. She tells him that remembering her name is a nice thing to do. She gets out, and he says it’s his floor too.

As they walk down the hall, Charles asks what happened, and Candace says he doesn’t want to hear. He says give him something other than a political speech, and she says it’s the whiskey talking. He tells her that he’s a Tennessee boy. She gets to her room, and he says no way. She says she doesn’t believe in coincidences, and tells him good-night. He is super cute. I think she’s going to fall for him.

Inside her room, Candace looks around for any recording devices. Beautiful room, but one cheap phone. I can tell by the weight when she picks it up. She pulls something out from a couple of vases and under the desk. There’s an open laptop and some books and papers all over the bed. Oscar calls and asks her why she would do that. She says she’s not working with him. He says Charles is worth millions, and tells her to just get him on tape. He tells her all the stuff is hers from law school, and she’s cramming for exams. He instructs her to say good-by to him loudly. She yells, don’t call again, and hangs up.

The phone rings, and Candace is like, what?! and it’s Charles. He says he wants to apologize, and she tells him to open the door. How come there’s no secret service around or whatever? Is this like The Prince and the Pauper? She tells him that she’s broke. The only reason she’s there is that it’s her anniversary. She wanted to surprise her boyfriend, and found him with somebody else. She says she also comes from a rough neighborhood, and she’s not good for his image. She thanks him for being nice, and he asks her to have a minibar drink with him. She asks if he’s trying to take advantage of her, and he says he just wants a drink. She says it will have to be his minibar, but the door stays open.

In Veronica’s driveway, Justin apologizes, and begs Jeffrey to listen. Jeffrey says Justin could have gotten him killed. Justin says he’s never done anything like this before. He’s never been in this situation; he’s doing things for Jeffrey that he’d never do. Jeffrey is like, please don’t say you’re in love. Justin says he isn’t, but he likes Jeffrey a lot, and doesn’t want to lose him. Jeffrey says he doesn’t belong to Justin, and Wyatt was just a straight friend. They’ve been friends since they were kids, and he has a drug problem. Veronica sees them from the window. Justin asks Jeffrey to forgive him. Jeffrey hears the door open, and says he does.

Veronica asks what Justin wants. Justin says that Jeffrey made an illegal left U-turn. Jeffrey talks about forgiveness, and says they were forgiving each other, because Justin was a bit aggressive. Jeffrey asks if Melissa is inside, like he’s going to fool Veronica, and Veronica tells him to join her. She wants to talk to the officer.

When Jeffrey is gone, she asks Justin what’s going on, and if she has to call the Chief of Police. Justin says he told her, but she says there are no left turns to get to the house. He says maybe he was mistaken and it was right. She asks how long this has been going on, and Justin says he and Jeffrey just met. She asks if he knows who she is, and he says she’s Jeffrey’s mom. He tells her that she should just be happy he let Jeffrey off with a warning, and Veronica says she has her own warning for him. She tells him to stay away from her son. She knows his type; she’s had them on the stand many times. She asks if Justin understands. He says he does and leaves.

Inside the house, Veronica asks why Jeffrey was being protective of Justin. She says he has the same look in his eye he has for Wyatt. He’s supposed to be there with Melissa, and he’s running around with that. She says she smells Justin on him, and tells him to be a man. He has a sexy-ass woman waiting for him, and he’s acting stupid. Jeffrey just stands there, and she tells him to go upstairs to Melissa. She asks if Jeffrey wants to stab her again, and when he says nothing, tells him to go.

Wyatt calls Jeffrey, but gets voicemail. He flashes back to Jeffrey telling him to call the number. He calls, and a woman asks what’s going on. He says he’s sick, and she asks if he’s trying to detox. She says there’s a doctor who can see him at home, and he gives her the address. She says they’re on the way.

Kathryn calls Hannah. She asks if Hannah sold the car. Hannah says no, and Kathryn is glad. She tells Hannah the police were just there, and Candace is wanted for questioning in Quincy’s murder. She asks if Hannah wants to know how she got the money from Jim. She sends Hannah a photo. Hannah is like, OMG! and Kathryn says she should have warned her. She kept one of the DA’s photos and Jim doesn’t know. She tells Hannah that she’s sorry. Hannah says she’s trying to figure out how to save Candace’s life. She asks if she can call Kathryn tomorrow.

Hannah goes to the police station. She tells the desk sergeant that they’re looking for her daughter and she knows where she is. Her daughter is Candace Young.

Next time, Candace promises not to tell anyone about Charles, Oscar thinks they can set up a scheme, and Justin talks to Hannah about Candace. I don’t know why I thought this was the finale. There are two more shows left. I would say I needed a TV vacation, but I might end up like Wyatt.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Kyle works with an organizer to get the garage together. Mauricio would rather she threw everything out, but she says there’s a lot of memorabilia in there, and wonders if she’s a hoarder. She talks on the phone with LisaV, and tells her that Carnie Wilson is presenting a tasting from her baked goods company at Kyle’s house, and she’s invited the women. Lisa is afraid of seeing the other Lisa, and Kyle says she has more of a beef with her than this Lisa does.

Eileen talks to Vince about Erika being on The Young and the Restless. She never knew Erika was going to be as excited as she is. Why not? It’s a pretty big deal. Erika is coming by to rehearse. In her interview, Eileen explains the process of putting a character into a soap. She asks Erika how the Project Angel Food gig went. In her interview, Erika says you probably don’t want her making any food for you because you’ll die. Eileen goes through the lines with her. Erika says it’s very different than doing her own show, where everything is focused on her. With this, she actually has to listen. Vince and Eileen agree she’s a natural.

LisaR – the other white Lisa – talks to Harry about going to Kyle’s house. She tells him that Kim is going to be there. Lisa was pretty fired up when she met with Eden, but doesn’t think Eden would lie. Harry says he can understand how her buttons were pushed if Kim was mean to her. She says she was spouting her feelings, and she connected with Eden. She’s sure that Kim must know about it by now Harry says she’s just tried to help Kim, but Lisa thinks everyone looks at it as just the opposite. Harry thinks that’s absurd, and that she has empathy. In her interview, Lisa says she’s going to have to own it; she did say those things. She tells Harry that if she gets stoned to death, he knows where her diamonds are.

LisaV and Ken go to the new space for their dog rescue center. She wants it to be a lifestyle shop with everything doggy, and potential pet parents will be able to play with the shelter dogs during the day. Lisa talks with the agent about Yulan festival and how they’re trying to change it. She wants Congress to speak out against it to China. It’s difficult for me to even hear about, and I applaud Lisa for her work. She says she doesn’t want to turn into a crazy person, but Ken says she is already. Ken gets emotional about a video he saw, and he’s going to make me cry in about one second. Lisa wouldn’t look, and I can’t either. I’ve actually signed online petitions without looking.

Carnie Wilson arrives at Kyle’s. She’s brought four flavors of cheesecake. Oooh, they’re teeny tiny. A beautiful table is set outside, and Kyle’s Golden Retriever lounges in the pool with his tennis ball. Carnie talks about her own sobriety.

Erika picks up LisaR, who’s bearing a baby gift for Kim’s new grandchild. Kim arrives at Kyle’s bearing her sponsor, Claire. LisaR talks to Erika in the limo about meeting with Eden, and says she thinks she did say everything. In her interview, Erika says she hates hearing this, and Kim is going to kill Lisa. She tells Lisa that she’s going to get it.

Mmmm… Tiny food is being passed around. Tiny crab cakes and little garnishes with caviar on tiny bread. Eileen asks Kyle if she invited Eden, and Kyle says she did. Kyle asks Eileen if she thought Kim hasn’t seemed sober, and Eileen says she hasn’t exhibited that behavior for some time. She says it’s weird and illogical though, because she can’t imagine LisaR saying those things.

Carnie talks to Kim about her impending grandchild. Dorit shows a video of her baby going after a pair of designer boots – fashionista in training. Eden arrives, and Kim says Eden makes her skin crawl. She talks to Carnie about removing all the negative, and tells her about Eden repeating LisaR’s lies. Carnie says we’ll always have to deal with idiots. No wiser words have been spoken.

Little cheeses! LisaV’s big earrings! We can see Kim stiffen the second LisaR comes to the table. Lisa presents her with the baby gift. Erika gives a blow-by-blow to LisaV and Dorit, who are inside at the bar. In her interview, Kim can’t believe that after everything LisaR said about her, she’s handing her a bunny. She says she can’t even look at Eden, and people in recovery support each other, not beat each other down.

Camille arrives. LisaR takes Eileen aside. She tells Eileen about how she talked to Erika, and came to a conclusion. Since coming to a conclusion takes more than one thought, I know this had to have been difficult. She talked to Harry, and they discussed the people close to them dying, and she realized she said it. Eileen is surprised and disappointed. Lisa says she meant well. Eileen says she knows that, and loves her. Eileen thinks Lisa’s good parts are better than her bad, and there’s something to be said for her owning everything.

Everyone gathers around several different tiny desserts, and Carnie talks about her dessert company. She wants people to be able to have a little bite rather than shunning dessert altogether. Man, this stuff looks good. I have a confession to make. Ever since they brought out those tiny crab cakes, I’ve been eating tiny chocolate chip cookies. I think I’ll put them away now.

Kyle goes inside and LisaR starts to tell her about her epiphany, when Carnie comes by to round them up. Lisa says she feels like a dead man walking.

Everyone is enjoying the desserts, when LisaR announces she wants to say something to Kim. Seriously. Everyone gets quiet. She says Kim has probably heard some things. (I’ve heard things…) She admits to saying some bad things to Eden, in the heat of the moment after game night. After talking to Erika and Harry, she wants to admit to saying them. In her interview, Kyle says Lisa flat out lied. Kim tells Lisa that she’s always saying things, and then it’s, oh, I’m sorry. She says what Lisa said was uncalled for. Lisa tries to drag Eden in, drawing comparisons. She says Kim was provoking her, and Dorit asks what she did, saying that she doesn’t remember Kim doing anything to warrant what Lisa said. Kim says Lisa doesn’t think of the consequences involving other people, like her children. She introduces her sponsor. LisaR says she’s only wanted to move forward with Kim, and LisaV points out that she was questioning Kim’s sobriety. In her interview, LisaR says LisaV is enjoying this. LisaR says a sober person doesn’t act like that, and Kim wonders who Lisa is to judge what a sober person is like. That was a really stupid statement to make. Kim calls out Eden for saying anything in the first place. LisaV tries to interject that LisaR bears more of the burden, and Kyle tells her to pick a lane.

LisaR asks Claire if there’s a chance to heal. Claire thinks it’s possible if everyone gets to a place where they can let go. Kyle is like, just don’t make up stories. She asks Eden how she would feel if Kyle questioned her sobriety behind her back. Eden says judge her all she wants. Kim basically says it was none of her business. We flash back to the game night argument between Kim and LisaR.

In her interview, Eden says as a recovering alcoholic it would be remiss of her not to listen to what LisaR had to say, and act on it. Kim says Eden isn’t them, and Eden tells her to have some compassion for someone who lost their sister. Kyle says it has nothing to do with compassion; it’s about comparing the situations. Kyle tells Eden that she knows it was horrific, but she can’t compare her situation with theirs. Everyone keeps talking at once, and it’s hard to separate everything. LisaR says it’s not what Kim is saying, but how she’s saying it. I think a HUGE part of LisaR’s problem is that she over-dramatizes everything. I’ll bet going to the bathroom is a big production in the LisaR household.

Carnie says when she makes a mistake she makes amends and owns it, but that everyone has their own pace. If she can’t move on and hangs on to things, she’s drunk. LisaR brings up Kim talking about Harry. Kim says she never said anything about him, and Kyle says she did imply it. LisaR says he might not show it, but it did hurt Harry. People come up to him on the street and ask #WhatDidHarryDo? I can’t help feeling that Harry would think the whole thing was stupid funny. Kim says she’s told Lisa that she’s sorry a million times. In her interview, Erika says LisaR is like a cat with nine lives, but she’s not sure how many she has left.

Carnie says some things are hard to break through, but that’s where compassion comes in. She says they drank for reasons; they are a little looney, but there’s no perfect. Kim says she doesn’t want her world out there again when she’s worked so hard. She’s going to stand up for herself, because she has had times she thought she was going to die. LisaR says she’s sorry she hurt Kim. Eden says she didn’t want to hurt Kim either. Eileen asks Kim what they can do to move on. LisaR says every ounce of her being wants to move on, being all dramatic again. In her interview, LisaV says you have to prove what you say by your actions, wondering if LisaR really does want to move on. Thank you. Some people think “I’m sorry” means they can keep doing it. Carnie says look at what these cheesecakes can do. The girls have some healing cheesecake and move on. Maybe.

Next time, Dorit has a wonderful new hairstyle, a Hong Kong trip is on the horizon, and Erika gets emotional with her mother.

💣 Love Imposters more every week!

💁 Thanks, Lifetime, for bringing Little Women: LA back on Tuesdays, when I already have a hard enough time juggling my TV shows. Here was the gist of it:

Terra is in the top five on Dancing with the Stars. Joe is on tour, and Terra’s health isn’t too great; she’s suffering from two hernias, on top of the breast issue she had last season. Elena comes to the DWTS studio to confront her, because she’s not answering her texts, and Terra ends up telling her to get out. Christy thinks Todd is eating himself to death, and wants him to either go to rehab or go back to Ohio, which I guess is the only other alternative. She’s also still desperate for Briana’s friendship. Tonya was diagnosed with Bell’s palsy, which is a virus that attacks the nerves. It’s triggered through stress. Great. One more thing to stress about. The girls threw Jasmine a baby shower, and she seemed genuinely surprised, but I’ve always wondered about the wisdom in surprising a pregnant woman. We also found out that the baby is a boy. 👶

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

At the hospital, Hayden is checking the paper to see if there have been any plane crashes. Griff asks her what’s up with that. She tells him about how Finn was supposed to meet with the pharmaceutical company in Manhattan. The plane left, but he didn’t check into the hotel and isn’t answering his phone. She tried to find out where the plane landed, but can’t get any further information without Tracy, since the jet belongs to ELQ.

Finn is back in his hotel room. He dumps a bunch of vials out of his bag.

Curtis sees Nina at The Floating Rib. She shows him her ring and he congratulates her, saying looks like she got it all.

Anna digs through her overnight bag, annoyed that there are no clothes in it. She suddenly gets weak and almost collapses. Valentin appears, asking if he’s going to have to catch her again.

Jason sees Robin, and wonders what she’s doing at the hospital. She figures he would have talked to Sonny, but he says Sonny told him to talk to her. She says she told Sonny it was private, but didn’t mean to include him. She tells Jason that Anna has cancer. She says it was a shock, but in Anna’s case, it’s treatable. The hard part is getting her to take it easy. She asks why Jason texted her, and he says he wanted to talk to her about Olivia-J.

Sam tells Olivia-J that she’s not going to stand in the cold and argue. Olivia pulls a gun, saying that Sam has figured out who she is, and no one else can know. Sam acts ignorant, and Olivia says she’s not an idiot. She tells Sam that she’s her Aunt Olivia, Julian’s dead sister.

At the dive bar, Julian calls Sam and gets voicemail. He wonders what Oliva-J has done. Gray joins him, and says there’s been a complication

Olivia-J tells Sam that she doesn’t want anything to happen to the baby. Sam says her being alive is impossible. Olivia says that Julian shot her in the back, but she didn’t die. She tells Sam that she just wants to stash her someplace warm.

Robin tells Jason that she hasn’t thought about Olivia-J in ages, and Sonny was asking about her too. She says this must have something to do with Ava. Jason says he doesn’t trust the cops, and neither does Sonny, so he’s been looking into the Jerome family. Robin tells him that she was little, but remembers some things clearly. Olivia was crazy and dangerous, and hated Anna.

Anna tells Valentin that the details are hazy. She says she’s feeling better, but he tells her that it doesn’t look like it. He says that he’s told her everything he can. She says she was told that she ordered the WSB to assassinate him and has no recollection. He infers that she has selective amnesia. She says she wants the truth, and won’t rest until she has answers.

Hayden tells Griff that Finn didn’t check into the hotel and didn’t make the meeting. The plane took off, but didn’t land in NYC. She wonders if he went somewhere else, and why he wouldn’t tell her. Griff says there must have been a misunderstanding, and Hayden asks him what’s up with the look. He says he doesn’t want to speculate, but she begs him to tell her what’s on his mind. Griff says he doesn’t know for sure, but Finn asked him for a painkiller prescription and got annoyed when he wouldn’t refill it. He thinks Finn is showing the symptoms of withdrawal. Hayden wonders why, since they both should have been cured from the disease. She asks why he would still be taking anything so addictive. Duh. Because it’s addictive?

Finn gives himself a shot, and tells Roxie not to look at him like that. He tells her that he’ll kick this.

Olivia-J tells Sam to get in the car. Sam says Olivia is the one who hired Buzz to plant the bomb to kill Julian, and she must have been annoyed that he didn’t die. Olivia says she’s beyond annoyed, and Sam says apparently Sonny’s kid was collateral damage. She asks how she knows Olivia won’t hurt the baby, and Olivia says she could never hurt an unborn child again.

Robin explains to Jason that Duke didn’t return Olivia-J’s feelings for him, and she lashed out. Robin doesn’t know the particulars, but Anna was pregnant with Duke’s baby, and when she and Olivia crossed paths, she wasn’t anymore. Jason tells her he’s sorry, and she says it was a long time ago. It was supposedly an accident, but she never believed that. Jason asks Robin if Olivia was still alive, if she’d want to hurt Julian. Robin says she’s surprised Olivia didn’t rise from the dead and kill him

Sam asks Olivia-J why she’s targeting her. Olivia tells her that she has poor taste in fathers. Sam says she had no choice, and why retribution after all these years? She says Julian killed the only man she ever loved.

Nina tells Curtis about the ribbon rings, and he says she ain’t got no ribbon now. She says funny how life works. She became willing to accept that she wasn’t going to have any children, but then Charlotte came along. Curtis says she married Charlotte’s father, not Charlotte. Nina says they’re happy, although Valentine’s Day got off to a rocky start; someone broke into their house.

Anna asks Valentin why he thinks she’d be breaking into his house. He suggests she was snooping. She wants the whole story, but he tells her not to ask questions that she doesn’t want answers to. She says whatever she did was traumatic and emotionally scarring, and she blocked it out. Here’s his chance to dig it up, throw it in her face, and destroy her. He tells her she’s better off the way things are, and starts to leave. Robin comes in and tells him to get away from Anna.

Nina tells Curtis that Valentin and Anna were friends back in the day, but something happened to their friendship. She says that Anna is practically stalking him; it’s like she’s obsessed with him. Curtis says it doesn’t match with what he knows about Anna. It makes him wonder if Valentin is telling her everything.

Valentin introduces himself to Robin. Robin asks why he’s in Anna’s room. She says she’s grateful he brought Anna to the hospital, but she doesn’t need his mind games. She tells him that she’s been friends with Lulu and Nicholas since they were teenagers, and he killed Nicholas. He says that’s one way to look at it, and tells Anna to get the answers she wants from someone else.

Curtis tells Nina that everyone keeps secrets. She wonders what he thinks Valentin is keeping from her, and he asks what the past beef between him and Anna was. Nina tells him about how Anna rejected Valentin’s advances. Curtis says if that’s the whole story, he’d be the one with the grudge.

Gray tells Julian that they didn’t have any other options before, but the Quartermaines have pooled their resources and are matching the offer. Their angle is that GH is vital to community, and they’ve swung others to their side, making it a community issue. He’ll do his best to persuade them, but if he were Julian, he’d prepare his client for the vote not going their way. Julian says that’s not acceptable.

Jason leaves Sam a message. He thinks he has a theory about what going on.

Olivia-J tells Sam that she believed Duke had survived like she had. She thought her faith had been rewarded, and found out that Julian had killed him. All light, love, and hope for her life was gone. Sam says she hates what Julian has done and understands. Olivia says she can’t understand, with her perfect life, and it isn’t fair. Why should Sam have everything when she has nothing? I dunno. Because Sam isn’t a lunatic?

Finn shakes as he feeds Roxie. He thinks he’s built up a tolerance, and prepares another shot. He tells Roxie that it’s just this once.

Hayden asks Griff if he thinks Finn is addicted. Griff says Finn has been using the drug for years. He says he’s been keeping an eye on things, and even tried questioning him. Hayden is going to start by seeing if he made it back.

Valentin joins Nina. He says that he’s going to make up for every minute they missed on Valentine’s Day. She asks what held him up, and he tells her he stopped by to see Anna.

Robin asks Anna what Valentin wanted. Anna says it’s a long story, but he’s not a threat. Robin says delirium isn’t usually a symptom of what Anna has. Anna says she’s not delirious, and wants to know why Robin didn’t pack any clothes in her overnight bag. Robin says because she’d try to leave, and that Anna is exhausted. Anna says the hospital is no place to rest, and she wants a semblance of normalcy. Robin tells her that she can’t check herself out against doctor’s orders. Anna says Robin made her realize she could carry on, and she also realizes what’s important. Robin says most important thing is to take care of herself. Anna tells her that there are things she doesn’t know about her past, and she can’t find the answers there.

Julian grabs Gray and says everything had better work out. Gray says he’ll concentrate on the board members, but can’t promise anything. Julian says failure isn’t an option, and Gray tells him it’s just business, not life or death. Julian says where he comes from, it is life or death, and Gray had better remember that. Gray leaves, and Julian looks at the picture of Sam with Olivia-J.

Olivia-J tells Sam that without Duke, she has nothing. The only thing keeping her going is Julian dying by her hand, but she wants to make him suffer. She says unless Sam wants the baby to be collateral damage, to get in the car. Sam starts to walk toward the car, but doubles over. When Olivia asks what’s wrong, Sam tries to get the gun. They struggle on the bridge.

Nina tells Valentin that this is the second time he’s left her waiting because of Anna, and wonders if she should be jealous. He says Anna collapsed in his house and he was just checking to make sure she was all right. He’d thought Nina would be proud of his good deed. Nina says that Anna isn’t their friend; she broke into their house. Valentin tells her that he’s hoping they can make peace. Nina says his past and present caught up with him, and they’re bound to run into each other. Valentin suggests getting something expensive that the bar has in reserve, and goes to talk to the bartender. Nina calls the commissioner, saying she wants to report Anna breaking in.

Robin and Anna argue. Griff asks what’s going on, and Robin says Anna is trying to check herself out. Griff says she has a phlebotomy first thing in the morning. He says he’s not her doctor, and wants her to spend the night and talk to Finn tomorrow. Anna says she trusts him. He says because of PV, she might experience dizziness and she’s on blood thinners. Any injury that draws blood could be problematic. She asks if everything she’s done with her career is off the table, and if she’s finished. Robin thinks she should reconsider the instructor position. Anna complains that they all convinced her that her illness wouldn’t hold her back. Griff says it’s minor, but she says what life does that leave her? Robin says she’s not ready to lose her mom and Emma isn’t ready to lose her grandmother. If she can’t do it for herself, can’t she do it for them?

Jason talks to Curtis. He says they know someone has a hold over Julian, that person accidentally killed Morgan, and that Julian called them his sister. Curtis says he’s looked into it, and Ava is Julian’s only living sister; the other one is dead. Jason says, unless she’s not.

Olivia-J tells Sam not to make her hurt the baby. The gun drops. Sam punches Olivia, and Olivia pushes her over the railing. Sam lies unconscious below the bridge.

Commercial break. For more information on rare blood cancers like Anna has, go to VoicesOfMPN.com.

Hayden knocks on Finn’s hotel room door. She says she knows he didn’t go to New York. If there’s a problem, they’ll deal with it, but he has to let her in. There’s still no answer, so she leaves. Finn is passed out with the syringe next to him.

Anna says she’ll stay at the hospital. Griff says to do her fan club a favor and get some rest. Out at the desk, Robin thanks Griff, and asks when Finn will be back. Griff says soon, but in the meantime, he’ll look into protocols. She says she will too. She tells him that he has his dad’s eyes. She’s been thinking about Duke a lot lately. If he were here, he’d know what to say, but maybe he can speak through Griff. She tells Griff that Duke was like a father to her, and Griff says they’re part of the same clan.

Anna looks at her special agent ID.

Valentin tells Nina he’s not going to let anyone intrude on their future. Nina toasts to it.

Officer Donaldson comes to Anna’s room. He says they have a complaint, and he’s going to have to place her under arrest. While I’ve never been arrested, much less arrested while I was a patient in the hospital, I’m not so sure it works like that.

Curtis tells Jason that it’s a wild theory, and what are they supposed to do with this hunch? Jason says they need proof. They’re going to find out where Olivia-J is buried, and open the grave. Cool! I’m hoping she put something weird in there, like a practical joke fist on a spring.

Olivia-J’s phone rings. It’s Julian, He asks if she hurt Sam, and she asks about the hospital sale. He says everything is fine and there’s nothing to worry about. He wants to talk to Sam, but Olivia says she’s out cold. And so she is.

Tomorrow, Nina admits to placing the complaint, Lucy arrives, and Jason and Curtis open Olivia’s grave.

👄 Last night was the season finale of Too Close to Home, where Mama June Jolene finally admitted to selling her children for food and booze. Trisha Rae Stahl outdid herself, especially when Jolene went outside for the first time in forever, and her trailer was cleared of its hoard. Although Jolene’s mess wasn’t nearly as impressive as what we’ve seen on the real life Horders; it was pretty clean and I don’t think would have filled even half of a dumpster. Heather Locklear was also a joy to behold, outing her POTUS husband’s affair during a live television interview. And of course there was Brody. Tyler Perry does it again, and I’ve heard there’s a good chance for them being renewed, since they’ve been a win for ratings lagging TLC. I’m rooting for them. This show is like V.C. Andrews for grown-ups, and the epitome of guilty pleasure.

🏥 Speaking of TLC, my latest obsession has been My 600-lb Life. Also like Hoarders, where there’s more than just piling up stuff, there’s more than just piling on pounds here. Both things originate from some kind of trauma, and both illnesses have visible symptoms. One finds comfort in material things, the other in food. My heart goes out to these people, who are at best stared at in public, and often harassed. One thing I would like to see though, is the entire family being given therapy. Often, they all have food issues, even though only one of them is tipping the scales at 600 pounds. Unlike alcoholics, who do not need alcohol to live, we all have to eat, and I’ll bet it makes it a whole lot easier if the entire family is on board. Today this poor guy sat down to his dinner of gruel, when everyone else chowed down on sides of beef in a tortilla. It was so unfair.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Julian Olivia-J what she did, and she says Winston reached out to find someone who is no random indigent.

Ava repeats the line, sounding nothing like Olivia-J. Jordan asks Buzz if that’s the voice he heard. What I’m wondering is this, how did he know which number Ava was? Lucky guess?

At the hospital, Finn is wondering why there’s no help, and Hayden tells him that no one is there. Finn asks if she fired the whole staff. All seven people.

Franco tells Elizabeth they’re going to cave and reverse the layoffs. He says it’s not like she abandoned her patients, since she has one at home. They start kissing, and there’s a knock at the door. It’s Griff.

Nelle gets more flowers from herself. She thinks they will get Carly’s interest up. Michael comes to the bar and asks if it’s too late for a drink. Nelle is there to close up, but asks what he’d like. He tells her that he needs something that will assuage his guilt about the layoffs.

Sonny looks at the bra, and calls Nelle a bitch. Carly calls to him from the other room. I’m so hoping he shoves the bra in his pocket and Carly finds it there.

Ava asks if she can go, but Dante says it depends on the witness. Buzz tells Jordan that Ava’s is the voice he heard; she’s the one who told him to plant the bomb. He says he’s not a criminal. He was told to plant a GPS, and now people want to kill him. Jordan asks him a bunch of different questions that all add up to, is he sure? He wants to jet, since he’s afraid the boss lady will find out. Jordan says she promised to take care of him and she will. He’ll go to a safe house, and someone will be with him at all times. He’s escorted out, and Jordan tells Ava she was identified. She says Buzz swears she’s the mastermind behind Morgan’s death.

Julian asks what Buzz is in Olivia-J’s game. She says he was told to plant a GPS under Julian’s car, and started causing trouble when he found out what it really was, but now he’s straightened out his priorities. Julian says he’s with the police sinking Ava, and Olivia says, as we speak. He tells her she can’t do this, and she says she had to. She had to do damage control when he wouldn’t get rid of Jason, and now he knows how serious she is.

Hayden tells Finn that the  nurses caught wind of the layoffs, and had a sickout. She says Finn will just have to do double-duty. Finn goes to an isolated area where there’s a cart, and sees that he has one pill left. His hand shakes as he tries to cut it, and half of it lands on the floor.

Franco asks Griff what he’s doing at Elizabeth’s house, and he says he figured he wouldn’t find Elizabeth at work. He says the hospital is chaotic, and Elizabeth hopes the board comes to their senses quickly. He gives Franco an anti-inflammatory, and says he’s lucky to have Elizabeth taking care of him, because she’s one of the best surgical nurses he’s worked with. He hopes that the sickout convinces the board that layoffs aren’t the way to go. After he’s gone, Franco says it was thoughtful, but he’s a priest, so it comes with the territory.

Michael tells Nelle that he’s justifying the layoffs by telling himself that without them, everyone would be without a job. Nelle says she’s made questionable choices that she had to rationalize, and we have to convince ourselves that we’re doing the right thing, even if it hurts other people. Michael’s phone rings. He tells Nelle that things at the hospital went from bad to worse, and he has to go. He says he’s sure she has good reason for her misdeeds.

Yes! Sonny puts the bra in his pocket. Carly says if Ava is responsible, she has to pay, but if Jason is right, that means the murderer is still out there. She wants to go home to the other kids. Sonny promises they’ll find the answers, but dammit! Carly doesn’t find the bra in his pocket. He must have big pockets too, since it’s not like this is a sports bra you can fold up real small.

Ava tells Jordan that the witness obviously isn’t credible, and Jordan assures her that he is. She says that Ava’s penthouse and gallery are being searched, as well as the Chinese food pawn shop remedy shop.

Julian tells Olivia-J that if she thinks some homeless guy’s word is enough, she’d better watch her back. She says that she has a plan in place that will give the case a boost.

Franco thinks Griff showed up for other reasons. Elizabeth points out that he brought Franco’s prescription, and asks why he’s so insecure.

Finn gobbles the pill crumbs off of the cart. Griff asks what he’s doing. He says he dropped his meds and they went everywhere. Griff asks if he’s still in pain, and Finn says it’s going to be a long night with the nurses gone, and wonders if he can get a refill.

Hayden tells Michael that it’s been crazy with the nurses gone. He says he’ll talk to Bobbie, and Hayden says that Bobbie is out too.

Carly tells Sonny that he must be desperate for a change of scenery. He wants to visit Morgan’s grave, but she asks him to wait so she can come. He agrees, and she says one day it might not hurt so bad. Right now, they have to wait and help each other deal. She leaves and he pulls out the bra, saying, Nelle, Nelle, Nelle.

Ava tells Jordan that this is a waste of time and taxpayer’s money. They won’t find anything. She didn’t try to kill her brother, and asks why Sonny is allowed to wander around harassing people. Jordan asks if anyone can confirm that he harassed her, and she says Jason was there, but he’ll never talk against Sonny. She says she heard the recording, and asks if it’s occurred to them that he might have been using “sister” in another context.

Olivia-J says Julian’s sentiments are touching. She remembers when they were close like that, but then he tried to murder her and murdered the man she loved. He says if she can stop all this, they can be a family. She could have the joy of children in her life and siblings, if she can make peace.

Carly comes to the hospital looking for Michael and Finn tells her about the sickout. Michael arrives, and Carly says she sees that he’s busy, but he asks what she needs. She says Jason has been investigating Morgan’s death, and found a recording that implicates Ava.

Sonny shows up at the bar. Nelle tells him Carly isn’t there and the restaurant is closed He says that’s the ways he likes it. She asks if there’s a problem, and he says, yeah, this, and shows her the bra. That bra is getting around more than some of the characters.

Franco tells Elizabeth that he doesn’t want to feel like this, and Elizabeth asks where it’s coming from. She asks if she’s ever given him a reason to be jealous. He says no, and she wonders if he’s unhappy with something in the relationship. He says he’s happier than he knew possible. She asks what they’re going to do about this, because jealousy is a destructive emotion. He says he has to work on it himself, and she asks why he doesn’t have more confidence. Her phone rings.

Hayden tries to deal with the garbage. Amy 2.0 shows up saying she’s there to help.

Michael is stunned at what Carly is telling him about Ava, and asks if Sonny knows. Carly tells him about Sonny going to the gallery. She says Ava is in custody, but Jason isn’t convinced she’s the one on the recording.

Dante tells Ava what they found is being processed. He shows her a lease agreement with her signature for the herb shop. Okay, I guess that’s what we’re calling it today.

Olivia-J says that she would have loved to be part of the family, and could have been the eccentric aunt. Julian says just let go and do it. Let go of the lust for revenge and they can be a family again. She says he’s forgetting that his family despises him because he tried to kill Alexis. He says Olivia forced him to do it, and she tells him that he deserved it. He asks if ava deserves it. Olivia says why not let Ava take the fall? She has lots of life to make up for.

Carly says Jason isn’t sure that Ava is behind anything, and Michael says it sounds like her work. Really? She’s always been kind of incompetent when it comes to mob business. Carly says the involvement with the Asian quarter doesn’t add up, and why would she and Julian meet in secret? Michael says he wants to believe in the system, but is afraid she’ll get off on a technicality. Carly says if she did it, she’ll pay.

Nelle acts surprised and asks where Sonny found it. She asks if Carly saw it, and says thank God when she hears that Carly didn’t. Sonny isn’t buying that she left it behind, and says she planted it so Carly would see it. She was setting him up. That’s a problem for him, and he asks if she knows how he solves problems.

Ava says she never signed any lease and has never even been to an herb shop. She says someone is setting her up. She says Julian has eluded to someone making threats, and says maybe it’s the PCPD setting her up. She tells Jordan about Curtis showing up at the gallery, and suggests maybe he was planting evidence. Dante comes in, saying the DNA found on a martini glass at the herb shop is Ava’s.

Olivia tells Julian that he’s not going to ruin everything, and he asks what she’s going to do.

Griff asks if Finn has seen Dr. Bradshaw, and says if he’s still having pain, he might need more than just meds. Finn is trying to open a package that contains an IV, claiming it’s for a patient (he probably wants to shoot the pill). Griff takes it from him and says he’ll handle it. Foiled again.

Hayden thinks Amy II is trying to get her job back, but Amy says it looks like they need help. Hayden tells her that when the nurses find out, she’ll be more disliked than Hayden.

Carly tells Michael about the charges being dropped against Sonny. He wonders how he got the ankle monitor off to go to the gallery, and Carly says an associate helped him, but only Dante knows he was gone. By the time Jordan showed up, Sonny was back. They agree it was a close call. Carly says she didn’t know whether to kiss Sonny or punch him, and Michael says it’s life as usual.

Nelle tells Sonny that she did nothing wrong, and he’s the one who cheated on his wife. Sonny says she planted the bra in his bed, and isn’t as innocent as she seems. She asks what he’s going to do to her.

Franco doesn’t want Elizabeth to go back to the hospital. She says he kind of scared her. He apologizes for being a jerk. She says one day, he’ll have to tell her why he sees other men as a threat to his happiness. He says someday, and they kiss.

Amy Part Two says her patients need her and she doesn’t care if no one likes her. Hayden says okay, she’s rehired. Not being a total idiot, Amy wants it in writing that she’s employed at the hospital forevermore.

Griff asks why Finn’s hands are so shaky, and Finn blames it on a blood sugar drop. Griff runs into Hayden, who tells him that Finn went off on her. She wonders if he said anything to Griff, but Griff tells her that if she wants to know what’s happening with Finn, talk to him.

Finn finds the pill behind the cart and swallows it.

Julian asks Olivia-J if trying to kill him and frame Ava isn’t enough. He asks what more she could possibly do, and she tells him to go.

Ava says the only way her DNA could have been on anything is if someone planted it. She begs them to bring Julian back in. Dante reads her the Miranda rights.

Sonny tells Nelle that she’s in over her head, and making herself his enemy. She says she didn’t do anything. He says he doesn’t want her near his house—ever. If he sees her there, she’ll have to deal with the consequences. If she jeopardizes Carly’s happiness, he’ll make her go away, and it’s not as simple as taking a job in Atlanta. She says she understands, and she’s sorry. He tells her that she went too far this time. Next time, it’s over for her.

Michael tells Carly that he’s glad she and Sonny are finding their way back, and that Morgan would be happy. She says one day they’ll look up at the stars and believe he’s part of the universe.

Nelle listens to the tape of Sonny. She says she’s keeping tog so she can

Tomorrow, Dillon brings Valentines to Kiki, Ava talks to Sonny, and Anna tells Andre that she once put Valentin on a hit list.

The Haves and the Have Nots

Hanna asks Benny where his bracelet is. Benny claims he doesn’t know. Quincy Jr. wakes up and runs to Candace, asking where she’s been and if she misses him. She says she’s been taking care of some things, and she did miss him. He shows her the game he’s been playing. Benny suggests he take a bath and get ready for bed. When he leaves, Hanna asks Benny what he did. He says he didn’t do anything. She asks what Candace has gotten him into.

Hanna says she can’t do this anymore. Benny says there’s nothing to tell, and Hanna starts yelling and throwing things around. She smacks Benny and he tells her that he’s not a boy anymore. She says if she has to beat his ass to save his life, she will, and calls Candace evil. Benny tries to come to her defense, and Hanna tells him to shut up and not disrespect her. Quincy Jr. comes out to see what’s going on, and Hanna says everything is fine; she’s just upset. He asks her to promise not to scream, because he doesn’t like it. Benny tells him to get on with his bath. Candace goes to help him.

Hanna says Benny is going back to jail, and she told him that’s where Candace was going to lead him. He says he’s not going, and she says what does he think is going to happen when they ID the bracelet? He tells her it’s going to be all right. Hanna prays for the truth to be revealed.

Quincy Jr. asks Candace why Hanna is mad. Candace says there’s a lot going on and he doesn’t need to worry about it. He asks if she did something, and she says no. He says grandma talks about her a lot, and Candace asks what she says. Quincy Jr. says she prays for Candace a lot. Candace says she’s been doing that for a long time, and he says she made him pray for her too. He asked God to help her be there for him. Candace says she’s sorry, but Quincy Jr. says God will answer his prayers. He asks if she prays and she says no, because she doesn’t think anyone hears. He tells her to pray louder.

David arrives to take Erica to dinner. He asks if she’s okay, and apologizes for Veronica. He asks what Veronica said to her, and Erica says Veronica said she was a hurricane coming for her, so batten down the hatches. He asks if it affects their relationship, and she says his only concern should be where to take her to dinner. She clichély asks him to zip up her dress. She tells him it seems like he needs to be prompted, and he gives her a ton of compliments that sound like they’re out of a romance novel. He says he wants to make love to her until the sun comes up, and she says she can’t do that. She says it seems like he switched it up on her, and he says it’s good not to get too comfortable.

Veronica goes to Candace’s townhouse. An officer stops her, and she says she’s Candace’s attorney. He blocks her from coming in, and George steps in. I’m assuming he’s a detective, since he has authority and he’s wearing a suit. He gets the warrant to show her, and she says it’s not a good warrant. George says they have a right to search, and she says only by the current homeowner. She tells him that the bank owned the house as of this afternoon, and anything they’ve found after five o’clock is inadmissible. He says she plays dirty, and she says she doesn’t have to this time. She asks when they found the body and he says at six. He tells her that Candace killed Quincy, but Veronica says they don’t have a body to prove it. George wants to talk to Candace, and threatens to have her arrested. Veronica says fine, she’ll take care of it in the morning. George says she has her own trial to deal with, and Veronica says she’ll win it, along with this one. George says he’ll pick Candace up tonight, and Veronica says she has counsel. I have to add that there was a plane flying overhead during part of the conversation and I could barely hear it. And I mean a plane on the show. I’ll chalk this up to budget and/or time. The worst case of noise interference was when they were doing construction in NYC near where One Life to Live was filmed. For what seemed like a year, there was drilling in the background of certain scenes. It would start to become unnoticeable, but then all of a sudden, I would be aware of it again. Most. Annoying. Thing. Ever.

George asks what kind of car Veronica’s son drives. He asks if she can tell him why the keys would be with a dead body, and she says she can’t, but she can tell him that she’ll see him in the morning. He says he’s going to see the Cryers next, and she asks why. He asks if she’s their attorney too, and when she says no, he says he’ll talk to whoever is then. She says if it’s big, she’ll be the first to know. The fake pleasantly bid each other good-night.

Veronica finds Jim leaning against her car. She asks him to get off of it. He says he came to apologize for Kathryn. She thinks he should go back further, like when he tried to choke her. Jim says he had her son raped in prison. She asks what he wants, and he repeats that he came to apologize. He says he’s sorry he assaulted her, and she asks him what he wants again. He wants them to all be on the same page; he knows what Kathryn did. He says he knows she tried to say Veronica did it, but it’s not her style. Veronica says when you put a hit out on someone, you don’t do it yourself. She knows he put a hit out on her and called it off. She asks why, and he says he felt bad. She doesn’t believe it, and he admits that David asked him too. She doesn’t believe that either, but Jim tells her that she’s a bad judge of who David is, and goes on about how much David loved her. He asks how she knew. She says she knows every criminal in town, and not to let the diamonds fool him; she’s a girl from the streets. He tells her what happened to Maggie Day was clever. She thinks it was brilliant, and that she set everything up. Jim asks how she knows he isn’t wearing a wire, and Veronica says she has a lot on him. He says he wants to make sure she’s not going to the cops about their friend who got shot. She tells him that it sounds like a threat. He says he just wants to make sure they’re all on the same page. They sort of flirt, and Jim asks if they’re in this thing together, but she says she doesn’t know. David has gotten involved with something, and she’s not sure how to react. Jim asks if it’s a woman, an says she needs to let it go; he’s moved on. Veronica says she has a really big puzzle One piece is meaningless, but when you put it all together, voila! Jim says he called the hit off, and she says she has all kinds of things stashed away with several different attorneys, who will open them if anything happens to her. Then, they’ll have to meet in order to put the puzzle pieces together. She is clever.

Jim suggests that Veronica play it his way. She tells him not to threaten her. She says the police car that just went by is on the way to his house. He asks what she told them. She says he’ll have to go and see. She looks so gorgeous in her white skirt suit. And her hair is always amazing. Like when they took her wig after she went to jail, and she was all weird about it, but IMO, her hair looked like she’d just stepped off a runway.

Justin comes to Jeffrey’s hotel room. Jeffrey’s phone rings. It’s Veronica. She asks where he is and he tells her he’s at the hotel and she asks if he’s with “that thing,” meaning Candace. He says she’s in the bathroom, and Veronica says to tell her to hide, because the police are looking for her, adding that they also found Jeffrey’s keys. She says he needs to get home and she’ll meet him there. She tells him to take a cab.

Jeffrey says he sees Justin couldn’t get the keys. Justin says he’s sorry, but he tried. Jeffrey says his mother is a really good attorney. Justin says his wife is the judge on the case he’s supposed to testify at, and asks if he’s okay. Jeffrey says he has to go. There’s a woman he has to marry because of all of this. Justin says it’s not that bad. Jeffrey says for him, but Jeffrey can’t play both sides. He tells Justin not to pity him, since he’s the closeted a-hole. Justin says Jeffrey changed that. He was doing crazy stuff before Jeffrey came along, and now he’s helping him. Jeffrey promises not to say anything, and Justin says he’s not helping him for that reason. Justin comes on to Jeffrey, and says he wants him.

Quita and Dude watch Wyatt be uncomfortable. Funny. Dude calls Wyatt “Dude,” and I say, “But that’s your name, Dude.” One day I must find out what his real name is. Quita says that Wyatt will be throwing up soon, and asks Dude if he’s never seen anyone go through withdrawal. Dude gives Quita a bank account statement. She says it’s from overseas, and asks Wyatt if he has a bank here. He shakes his head, and she says that’s too bad, because they’ll have to stay until they get it all. He says they can’t stay there; he’ll write them a check. She says make it out to you think I’m a damn fool? He asks her to give him something, anything. He just came out of the hospital after an overdose. She tells Wyatt that he’s like the crackhead ho’s on her block. She tells him she’s horny, and would like to know what it’s like to be with a rich, white boy. She’s just kidding, which is a relief to me if she thinks he’s going to be throwing up, but she wants to get with Dude. They go into the bedroom.

While they’re undressing, Wyatt reaches behind the couch cushion.

Quincy Jr. is squeaky clean. Hanna tells him they have to register for school in the morning, and it’s time for bed. He asks Candace if she’ll be there in the morning, and Benny says she will. Candace kisses Quincy Jr. good-night. Hanna gets a call, and goes into the bathroom. It’s Kathryn. She says she hasn’t heard from Hanna, and Hanna says she’s been dealing with a lot. She asks if Hanna wants her to mail her check, but Hanna says she’ll come by in the morning. Hanna says she’s going to have to sell the car, but Kathryn wants to help. Hanna refuses.

Jim comes into the room and makes Kathryn hang up. He says the police are coming, and that Veronica told him. Kathryn wonders if they’re coming to arrest her. Jim says she’s not going anywhere, and he’ll answer all the questions. She asks if he knows who he’s talking to. There’s a knock at the door, and Jim says he’ll be there in a minute.

Next time, Candace asks if Hanna knows who her daddy is, Kathryn wants to know why someone is still breathing, War is going to get what’s his, and Justin gets jealous.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

When we last left, LisaR had just arrived in Mexico. She screeches a hello to the guests in the pool, who are gathered around floating tables filled with wonderful things to eat. In her interview, Kyle says it feels awkward. She knows what Lisa said, and she’s pissed off. Lisa goes off to find her room.

Dorit says it’s 500 degrees out, but I think she’s exaggerating. It’s the night of Mauricio’s launch party, and Mauricio gets the gift bags ready. LisaR announces herself. In her interview, Kyle says you pull out the Beverly Hills greeting when you don’t want to ruin a party because you’re angry at someone. Or what I call general good manners. The party guests gather, Mauricio makes a speech, and everyone applauds. He gives props to Kyle, which is commendable. The mariachi band plays.

LisaR and Eileen talk to Erika about their daughters’ modeling gigs. Lisa gets all teary about Gigi Hadid again. Eileen has Montezuma’s Revenge, and thinks the Kim and Kyle thing is bringing up a lot of stuff for Eden. Erika thinks they should talk to Kyle, since Eden has inserted herself into her and Kim’s relationship, and now they’re inserted too. In her interview, Erika says these things have real impact, and need to be dealt with immediately.

LisaV talks to Dorit about LisaR telling Eden that Kim is at death’s door. Wow. That’s five Wives in one sentence.

LisaR approaches Kyle, saying she doesn’t know what is going on. Kyle says Eden told her some upsetting things that she said, including Kim being close to death, and not 100% sober, and Kyle being an enabler. In her interview, Lisa claims not to remember it. Roll the tape.

Kyle asks if LisaR said those things. We flash back, and I thank Bravo, Andy, and the cameraman. Lisa says she doesn’t remember saying any of that. Kyle says that’s what Eden told her. Lisa says she had a conversation with Eden about Eden, and had said she didn’t want to talk about Kim. She opens and closes her mouth like a fish for a while. In her interview, LisaV suggests that she has selective memory. Eileen thinks Eden is projecting, and Dorit agrees. Kyle asks where Eden would get that assumption, and LisaR says she must have made it up. Erika calls it the biggest game of telephone ever. LisaR says she needs to choose her words more carefully, and LisaV says she warned her about that. Kyle isn’t buying it, and thinks Eden must have gotten some idea from her. LisaR says she didn’t mean it in a mean way. Kyle wonders which it is, did she not say anything, or not say something in a mean way, and Lisa says maybe it was in another context. In her interview, LisaV does a pretty good impression of LisaR screeching “own it!” Figuratively flipping the tables (you have to be specific with this show), LisaR says that Eden is projecting on to her. In her interview, Kyle says she’d love to give Lisa the benefit of the doubt, but because of the past, it’s difficult. LisaR feels sad about it, and Eileen looks like she wants the floor to swallow her. LisaR tells Kyle to kick her in the behind, and Kyle says she’s getting a margarita. In her interview, LisaR says she let Eden in too soon.

LisaR disappears into the night, or at least down the driveway. Dorit sees her and follows. Lisa wants to go home, because she’s a big baby who got caught stirring the pot. She starts crying, saying she can’t deal with this. Eileen comes out and Lisa sobs on her shoulder. Puh-leeze. Lisa says she doesn’t want to do this, and wails what did she do? No, Lisa, it’s #WhatDidHarryDo? She says she never cries, which is ridiculous, and says her life is too good for this – although apparently not too good for the paycheck.

LisaV and Kyle dance while they discuss LisaR.

LisaR moans that no one loves her, and wonders why no one came to her with this atrocity. Eileen extracts herself, and LisaR goes with her. She tells everyone that Eileen is sick. She adds that she doesn’t feel so good herself, since Eileen can’t get all the attention. They leave and LisaV asks why LisaR is crying. Erika doesn’t want to see anyone cry, and joins them. In her interview, LisaV thinks that LisaR is angry and lashes out, then regrets it when the repercussions come.

In her interview, Erika says it’s possible not to remember everything you say. I dunno, I think if I said someone was at death’s door, I’d remember. She tells Kyle that she’s going with them. Kyle says she doesn’t want people leaving a party like that, but if you said those things, you said them.

Erika sits on LisaR’s bed with her. She tells Lisa that she has to choose her words carefully. Lisa says if she did it, she would cop to it, but she doesn’t remember. Erika says they’re big words, and begs Lisa to tell the facts. Lisa says she can’t if she doesn’t know the facts. In her interview, Erika thinks Lisa is eventually going to own it.

The rest of the gang heads back, and they joke around in the limo. They laugh about making LisaV’s knickers into a pillowcase.

LisaV practices her Spanish at breakfast, talking about shampoo. LisaR calls home, and tells Harry that there was an issue she didn’t expect. She says that Eden told LisaV that she was saying awful things about the Richards sisters. Harry says she never said those things to him. She says she doesn’t think it’s right, and she’s not allowing it, surprising me by not stamping her foot. Harry makes some astute observations that would make sense if this was sane. Lisa says he’s put her at ease.

Eden’s mother visits. I guess she didn’t go to Mexico? In her interview, Eden says when her mother got sober is when she started to drink. Her mother started drinking again after her sister died, and then they both got sober together. She talks to her mother about the Richards sisters, telling her that she sees herself and her sister in them. Her mother says they’re in a different space and to back off. Eden says it was overwhelming, but they saw her as causing trouble. Her mother tells her that it’s not her life. In her interview, Eden says she’s hearing things she already knows; she just has to get out of her own way, and accept that she’s powerless over other people.

Infinity pool! Dorit and PK call the kids. Dorit starts crying the second she hears “mommy.” The nanny says they’re fine, and Dorit says it’s like a knife in her heart. They join the breakfast table. LisaV wonders where LisaR and Eileen are. Kyle arrives, and LisaV says that she has to leave for Washington DC where she’s campaigning to stop the Yulan festival. In her interview, she says it’s preferable to being with Kyle and LisaR on a boat all day. Yep.

Eileen is still sick, but LisaR joins the group. Kyle is uncomfortable. Although she didn’t like seeing Lisa in tears, she’s glad it’s at least out in the open. They take a bus to the marina, and Erika spies an iguana on the way. The boat is a gigantic catamaran, and margaritas are immediately dispensed. The water is absolutely beautiful.

LisaR tells Eileen that she feels like she has an emotional hangover. She doesn’t feel like she was heard, and doesn’t know where it all came from. Of course they think LisaV is behind it. LisaR says that LisaV is mad because she was called out and wants her to go down. She says LisaV was “gleeful” the night before and loved every minute of it. I don’t know about that, but I do think LisaV likes it when someone gets their comeuppance. Me too.

PK thinks Eileen and LisaR are isolating themselves, but Erika says it’s all good, and wonders why he cares. Eileen goes to get something to eat, while PK and Erika join LisaR. Lisa says she’s living in the moment. They decide to go in the water which is where I’d like to be. Dorit and Kyle stay on the boat. PK offers Dorit a Birkin if she jumps in. She jumps in. He doesn’t promise Kyle a Birkin, so she stays on board. Dorit shows us the bag in her interview, saying that’s how you get a Birkin.

Back on the boat, they play Erika’s music and everyone slithers around. Erika says she knew LisaR had it in her.

Next time, LisaR gets an award, Kyle works on her new show, LisaV and Erika cook, and LisaR confronts Eden.

February 7, 2017 – Hospital Upheaval, Benny Finds Candace, the Wives Go to Mexico & Caroline #1 Leaves for Dubai

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Julian tells Olivia-J that she’ll have GH and to lay off his family. She says, we’ll see. Curtis and Jason hear him say no more threats and call her his sister. Jason takes a picture, thinking it might be Ava, since all he can see is blonde hair. Olivia says Julian has no reason to fear her – as long as he gets her General Hospital.

Elizabeth catches up with Felix at the hospital. He tells her that Franco was brave, and everyone was surprised. She says people don’t know him, and he’s a good guy if given a chance. Felix says she brings out the best in him.

Michael wants to make sure the numbers are correct. Hayden says she doesn’t want to fire anyone either, and appreciates him being objective. Amy 2.0 horns in on the conversation.

Nina comes into the office rattling off the million things they have to do. She realizes she’s talking to no one, because Maxie is still at her desk. She asks Maxie if there’s a problem, and Maxie says that Nina and her husband are keeping her best friend away from her daughter.

Alexis meets with Dante and Lulu, reminding them that she can only consult, since she doesn’t have her license back yet. Lulu says they’re more than prepared to fight Valentin.

Carly is happy that Morgan’s foundation has now been set up. Sonny wants Morgan’s spirit to live on. While they’re talking, Nelle plants the brand spankin’ new bra in Sonny’s bed. I’ll say it again that I think a woman would be able to tell that it’s an unworn garment. (Off topic <sort of> advice: When you buy new clothes, give them a wash before wearing them. It gets rid of some of the chemicals used in manufacturing. This goes for linens too.) And what if Sonny finds it? He’ll be like wth? and ask Carly if it’s hers, confusing everyone. And isn’t there a cleaning lady? Nelle slides the bra into a place where it would never fall naturally. She gets the forms and goes back downstairs.

Carly talks to Sonny about Michael being on the hospital board now, and how he has enough responsibility. Nelle gives her the forms. Carly thanks her, and she says they’ve done so much for her, it’s only fair that she finds a way to pay them back.

Nina says Maxie doesn’t know the whole story. She tells Maxie about how Valentin was fine with shared custody, but Lulu isn’t thinking about Charlotte’s feelings, and has already traumatized her. She says Charlotte was in the process of grieving over Claudette, the only mother she’s known, and Lulu looks at her like a piece of property. Nina says only thinking about yourself is no way to raise a child.

Hayden tells Amy II that she and Michael were having a private conversation, and clueless Amy asks about what, making me laugh. Hayden says Michael is on the board now. Amy says she saw the board members come out from their meeting not looking happy, and tries to get information, but Hayden doesn’t budge.

Olivia-J tells Julian that as long as she gets what she wants, she doesn’t care whose blood has to spill, which is totally different from what she said last time. She tells Julian to get a move on. Curtis thinks they should follow him, but Jason says he thinks they’ve gotten all they can for today. Curtis says it sounds like the person responsible for the bomb is Julian’s sister.

Alexis wonders why Valentin waited to file a motion. Lulu says he suggested shared custody, but she refused because a man like that has no place in a child’s life. She tells Alexis that Charlotte hasn’t warmed up to her because she’s been too pushy and made mistakes. She’s had to accept that Charlotte loves Valentin, and she tried to approach him later about sharing custody, but he refused. She explains what happened when she revealed to Charlotte that she was her real mother.

Maxie says it’s possible Lulu mishandled things. Nina says Valentin is Charlotte’s father. He gives her stability, she adores him, and it’s what’s best for her. Maxie thinks compromise is the best solution. Nina says Valentin wanted to compromise, but Lulu messed it up, and now Charlotte wants nothing to do with her. Nina says she backs Valentin completely, and Maxie says she backs Lulu completely. Nina says they’ll have to agree to disagree, and not talk about anything regarding Charlotte. Maxie says she doesn’t know if that’s possible. Nina says they shouldn’t let their disagreement ruin anything at Crimson. Maxie says she’ll try. What’s up with Maxie’s hair? It looks flat with lowlights that look like roots that have grown out. It’s just awful.

Nina speaks with someone on the phone. She says Charlotte is coming to the office, because the nanny has a family emergency.

Elizabeth asks Amy what’s wrong, and she tells her to ask her sister Hayden. Hayden and Michael agree on paring down the hospital staff. Hayden says it’s better than no hospital at all.

Jason doesn’t think that anyone saw them, and says that something doesn’t add up. He can’t figure out why Ava would meet Julian secretly, and says it makes no sense. Curtis rattles off the info they have, and thinks it’s clear cut that it’s Ava. He wonders if they should continue trying to get evidence or tell Sonny.

Carly tells Sonny she would have stopped by to see him anyway. She says she’d be there every day, but Josslyn isn’t ready, and thanks him for understanding. He says once Jason finds out who’s calling the shots with Julian, he’ll be fine. They talk about the future.

Lulu tells Alexis that Valentin is going to tell the court that Charlotte is scared of her. Alexis says the court is going to hear the circumstances of her birth, and how there was a surrogate without Lulu’s knowledge. Lulu wonders if there’s a chance of getting full custody.

Nina brings Charlotte into the office. She tells Charlotte she can help pick out accessories for the magazine.

Hayden tells Elizabeth that she heard what happened, and asks how she is. Elizabeth says she would be better if she knew her job was safe. She asks if they’re cutting employees, and Hayden tells her they are. Elizabeth goes on about how they’re people not numbers on a balance sheet, and wonders how Hayden can sleep at night. She asks if she’s going to be fired too, and storms off. Really? How old is Elizabeth that she doesn’t understand that the hospital is in trouble and on the verge of closing if something isn’t done? It wasn’t that long ago when they actually did close, and she thought she was going to have to get a job elsewhere. I guess that fall down the stairs gave her some short-term memory loss.

Just as Carly and Sonny are headed upstairs, Jason arrives. Sonny asks if he has any information.

Hayden follows Elizabeth, telling her that her job is to get the hospital out of debt. Elizabeth reminds her that she threatened to fire her once. Hayden says that was before their relationship changed, and that the board ultimately decides what to do. Amy Part Two pops in, and adds fuel to the fire. Hayden says it might be the only way to save the hospital as a whole. Felix jumps in next, and she tells him that the hospital could close if they don’t save money. She doesn’t want anything to change either, but if they don’t do something, a building that once saved lives will be an empty shell waiting to be turned into condos.

Nina and Charlotte look at accessory pictures. A new advertiser calls, and insists on talking to Nina. While she talks on the phone, Maxie tries to make small talk with Charlotte. Nina tells Maxie that she needs to meet with the advertiser immediately or they’ll pull their ads. Maxie offers to watch Charlotte. Not sure why any advertiser would require a face-to-face meeting, and obviously Maxie watching Charlotte is going to turn out badly.

Michael comes to the bar and sees Nelle. She asks if he wants to join her for coffee, but he says he wouldn’t be the best company. She asks what’s wrong, and he tells her about the budget cuts, and that people are going to lose their jobs. He says the hospital is so far in the red, it might even be too late to save it. She asks why he thinks it’s up to him.

Alexis brings up how fast Valentin married Nina. Lulu says he only married her for show, and Alexis says the court might consider that. She tells them from now until the trial, they’re not to see Charlotte without Valentin’s permission. They have to look like they have Charlotte’s best interest at heart. Alexis has to leave and runs into Julian in the hallway.

Jason tells Sonny that they have some new leads, but nothing concrete. Carly figures they want privacy. Before she leaves, she makes them promise to tell her who it is that killed Morgan when they find out. Sonny asks Jason if the equipment worked, and Jason says not as well as they’d hoped. Sonny asks if they found out who’s responsible, and to tell him right now.

Julian tells Alexis he’s meeting someone. She says he looks tired, and asks if everything is all right. He says he just came from a trying meeting. She says she’s going to one now, but at least they have doughnuts. She says she doesn’t like doing things in groups, but she’s an alcoholic, and her sponsor encouraged her to go. Julian flashes back to Olivia-J. Alexis says that Olivia is keeping her on track without the catch phrases or new age stuff. Hmm… As I’ve already pointed out, Olivia uses a lot of catch phrases, and AA is hardly new age. Honestly, they need an AA adviser here.

Jason tells Sonny that it’s a woman, but he couldn’t see her face. Sonny asks if they got something from the mic. Jason explains about the music and how everything was muffled. Sonny asks if they found anything to identify her, and Jason says they’re close. Sonny has the feeling he’s leaving something out.

Michael tells Nelle that he’s been fortunate and wanted to give back. Nelle says she wishes she could help people, but has no disposable income. Michael says she nurtured the kids in her classes as a teacher, and she’s one of the most decent people he knows. He says she doesn’t need to have money to help the less fortunate. Carly comes out with flowers that were delivered for Nelle.

Julian says he hopes Alexis’s meeting is helpful. He sits down with Gray. Gray tells him that the hospital asked for an extension, and he had no choice but to go along with it. Julian was laid up, and he couldn’t discuss it with him. Julian says he needs the hospital sooner rather than later.

Hayden looks on the computer, hoping she missed something. She wonders what she could cut that won’t lose jobs.

Felix says they’re short-staffed already. He says first they call the union rep, and then the real work begins. They’re going to fight back. I’m not sure how you fight something that hasn’t even been established yet. He must be taking lessons from…oh, never mind.

Nina says she’ll be back in two hours tops, and if Charlotte needs anything, to call.

Dante tells Lulu that it’s going to be hard, but in the end, it will be worth it. He leaves, and Lulu gets a call from Maxie. Maxie tells her that it’s urgent she come to Crimson.

Julian tells Gray that the hospital is on its last legs. Gray says they’re implementing some cost cutting measures. Julian says do whatever he has to, just get it done. Gray says Julian isn’t going to be popular if the deal goes through. Julian says that’s the least of his problems. He calls Olivia-J and says its being worked on. She says her patience is wearing thin, but he tells her that he’ll make sure she gets what she wants.

Nelle excuses herself. Carly tells Michael the flowers must be from the mystery guy. He says not so mysterious anymore, and tells her about Josslyn looking at the card. Carly says he should have stopped her, but what did it say? Ha-ha! Michael says it was signed with the initial S. Oh yeah, mystery totally solved.

Sonny tells Jason that whatever he has, he’s ready to hear it. Jason says they know where the meetings are held, but nothing else is for sure. Jason sneaks out the back. Sonny calls Brick. He asks about the remote feed, and tells him to bring it over

Tomorrow, Sam thinks something is wrong with the baby, Curtis meets with Ava, and Brick brings the feed to Sonny (and I don’t mean take-out from The Floating Rib).

The Haves and the Have Nots

Veronica asks Erica what’s the matter, and if she doesn’t like the flowers. She introduces herself, and David tells Erica to put Veronica on the phone. He tells Veronica to walk away, and she says she doesn’t think so. She asks how much Erica is charging him, and asks Erica where she can find Erica’s pimp. David tells Veronica to leave her alone, but she says she won’t go quietly into that great night. David says if she needs to speak to him, fine, but leave Erica out of it. Veronica asks him how long it’s been going on. She realizes he’s not going to answer her questions, and hangs up. She walks into Erica’s room.

Erica tells Veronica to leave. Veronica asks how old she is. Erica says not as old as she is, and tells her to leave again. Veronica asks what her name is, and Erica calls hotel security. Veronica asks again who her pimp is, listing a few – because she knows everything and everybody – and asking if it’s one of them. She says she’ll find out, and Erica won’t have her husband. Erica says they’re divorced, and Veronica holds up her ring hand, showing Erica her massive wedding ring set. Erica tells her that’s what she heard, and Veronica says she heard wrong. Erica claims she saw the papers, since she does research on the men she sleeps with. David calls Erica, telling her to stay on the phone with him until security gets there, and that she doesn’t know who she’s dealing with. She says she can handle it, and hangs up.

Erica asks Veronica what she wants. Veronica says she wanted to get a look at her, and introduces herself again. She asks how long this has been going on, and Erica tells her to get the hell out. Veronica says Erica must be from Florida, and tells her that she should really wear sunscreen. Ouch! She says people from Florida know how to batten down the house when a hurricane comes. She tells Erica that a hurricane is coming, and her name is Veronica, and when this bitch hits, it destroys everything you’ve ever known. She says it’s unfortunate that Erica is pretty, since it’s easier for an unattractive woman to lose her looks. Security comes, and Veronica says she was just leaving.

Jeffrey asks how long he and Candace are going to sit at the hotel. She says she’s waiting, but she doesn’t know for what. He wonders what Veronica is doing, and Candace thinks she went to the house to challenge the warrant. Candace’s phone keeps ringing. It’s Benny, but she says she can’t face him right now. Jeffrey doesn’t want to know, and then asks what she did. She tells him about the mortgage. He says she’s just like his mom; she uses people to get what she needs. She says she didn’t use Benny, she did something good for him. She points out that Jeffrey is using Justin. Jeffrey says he never threatened Justin (um…he did), but she says you don’t need to threaten someone to use them. She says he’s fallen in love with Justin, and Justin likes him. She says she told him to get close, but not to fall in love. He says he didn’t, and she says good, because it only gets in the way. Jeffrey insists that he doesn’t love Justin. She says they like each other then. She tells Jeffrey that Justin could go to jail for what he’s doing. Candace’s phone rings again. Candace claims that Jeffrey wants to see her upset, and he says sociopaths don’t get upset. She tells him to go to hell.

Oscar comes over to the table. Candace tells him to get away from her. Oscar tells Jeffrey to get lost. Candace tells him don’t you dare, but he moves to another table. A guy comes in with an entourage, and Oscar says that’s his man; he’s favored for the presidential election. Oscar needs a way in, and Candace is the guy’s type. He shows her a picture of the mark’s late wife, and says he’ll get the sympathy vote. Candace yells at him to get away from her, attracting attention, and he goes back to the bar.

Jeffrey calls Justin. Justin says he’ll meet him at the hotel, and to get a room. Candace asks Jeffrey if he’s getting a room, and Jeffrey asks if she’s getting her phone. This time, it’s Erica. Erica tells her about Veronica. She’s at the same hotel, and Erica tells her to come up to the room. Erica calls David, and tells him it’s fine, and he can make it up to her by taking her out to dinner.

Candace arrives at Erica’s room. She wonders if Veronica is having Erica followed, and tells her Veronica is crazy and to watch out for her. Erica asks if Candace has heard from War, but she says no. Candace asks what happened with Veronica, and Erica says they only traded insults. Candace tells her about losing the house, and that the police took all of the money she had hidden. Erica asks her what’s going on.

Candace tells Erica about killing Quincy and burying him in the backyard. Erica says that’s crazy, and asks why Candace didn’t tell her. Candace says she thought about it, but the police have found the body, so who knows how long she’ll be free. Benny calls again. Erica says it could be important, so Candace answers. She tells Benny she’s sorry she didn’t come, and tells him she’s at the hotel. He says he’s coming there, and she says she’ll be in the lobby. Erica says he sounds mad. Candace says she’ll call Erica later. A little slow moving today, although some good character development.

Wyatt wakes up. Quita and guy-she’s-hanging-out-with are in his place. Wyatt is feeling sick, and says he needs something. Dude says he’s got something, and Wyatt begs. Quita looks around, and asks Wyatt how much money he’s got. He tells her she took everything, but she says he has more in the bank. She tells him they’re staying tonight, and tomorrow they’re going to the bank where he’s going to give them the rest. I don’t think they let you take millions out of the ATM though. She looks around for food, and gives dude Wyatt’s credit card. Wyatt is getting shaky and Quita says he’ll be throwing up soon. While Quita and dude are discussing nonsense, Wyatt gets his tablet. I’m wondering how Wyatt can be sick from withdrawal since he’s been in the hospital and hasn’t had anything for a while, but I guess he’s faking?

Benny finds Candace in the hotel lobby. He doesn’t want to hear it, and wants her to come with him. She says she went to the house to get the money, and the police took it. He starts getting loud. He asks why she didn’t just call him, and she says she didn’t want to disappoint him again. She apologizes, and he wonders how she can let those words come out of her mouth. She tells him that she loves him. He tells her that she’s coming to the hotel to stay with him and Hanna. He tells her that she’s responsible for Hanna’s house burning down, and he was kicked out of his while her son watched. Candace says she’s not going. He says he lost everything because of her. She refuses to go, and says she’s going to take care of herself. He asks where she’s staying, and she says at the hotel right there. He wonders with what money. He says she has nothing, and they’re looking for her car, since the bank owns it. He says that’s why Mitch is in jail, and tells her about Mitch trying to keep his truck. She says she’ll make up for everything, and he says she can’t this time. She tells him that she’s been on her own since she was 17, and it’s going to stay that way. He tells her War is out of jail and looking for her. He’s surprised War isn’t there. A security guy asks if everything is okay. Candace leaves with Benny.

Meanwhile, at the Cryer mansion, Kathryn asks why Jim is still there. He’s watching the news, where they’re talking about DA Jennifer’s disappearance. Kathryn says she wants Jim out. He says this is the FBI, and him being there is her best chance. He tells her that if he leaves her to her own devices, she might do something stupid, and she already created a mess that he had to clean up. She tells him he created the mess a long time ago. He tells her that she thinks every bad thing that’s happened is his fault. She says she doesn’t know why she let it go on for so long after their daughter’s death, and then Wyatt becoming a junkie. Jim tells her to calm down, but she says not until he’s gone. He says he’ll leave under one condition – she talks to Veronica and makes nice with her. Kathryn says she’s never talking to Veronica again. Jim says Veronica needs to think they’re all in this together and they’re on her side. Kathryn says she’ll have the bank foreclose on everything Veronica owns. Jim says if no one talks to Veronica, they’ll have no idea what her next move is, and only she can do this. He says Veronica is a wild card, and they need to control her and this. Kathryn needs to apologize. Kathryn continues to refuse, and Jim says he’ll do it then. She says go ahead, and then she wants him out.

Kathryn leaves the room. Jim sees the news coverage at Candace’s place, and Veronica walking past in the background, like Arklon in Beastmaster 2. Candace isn’t a suspect, but someone of special interest.

Quincy Jr. sees the same thing on the news, and calls Hanna’s attention to it. Hanna tells him to go listen to music. Candace’s picture is on TV, since the police are looking for her. The police are running her license plate number, as well as getting DNA from a bracelet found with Quincy. The cause of death is unknown.

Candace and Benny come in and see the news item about Jennifer. Hanna asks where Candace’s bracelet is.

Next time, David and Erica hook up, Jim tells Veronica not to talk to the cops, and Justin and Jeffrey meet again.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Mauricio is getting ready to leave, while Kyle tussles with her ponytail. Kyle is planning a trip with the other couples to Mexico for the grand opening of Mauricio’s new office. Kyle says she always has guilt when she leaves, whether it’s about the kids or her new show.

Schnooky! Harrison!! GIGGY!!! LisaV is packing for the trip when Eden drops by. Eden is amazed by Lisa’s closet, as we all are. Eden had contacted Lisa, saying she has something important to tell her. They go outside to have tea. Lisa hopes Eden understands her defensiveness when it comes to Kyle.

LisaR comes by Kyle’s store and they talk about Mauricio’s Malibu listing. Lisa likes being supportive of Kyle’s boutique because she loves shopping. She says she and Kim had a nice talk the night before. Kyle hopes it rubs off on Eden.

LisaV asks why Eden is involving herself so much in Kyle and Kim’s business. Eden says she believes Kim is sober, and Lisa wonders why she didn’t tell Kyle that, and where her doubts are coming from. Eden tells her that LisaR thinks Kim isn’t completely sober, and thinks Kyle is an enabler. She tells LisaV that LisaR told her Kim is on the path to destruction, adding that LisaR disappeared the second Eden started talking to Kyle. LisaV says it’s a similar experience to the one she had. In her interview, she wonders if LisaR will end up blaming her for starting something. She asks Eden if it’s okay for her to tell Kyle, since she thinks Kyle has the wrong impression

LisaR tells Kyle that Eden sees her sister and herself in Kyle and Kim, and she didn’t get a chance to fix that. Lisa says she has no idea what Eden really knows, but she’s coming from a good place. Kyle says she’s going to be in a bad place if she doesn’t knock it off.

Dorit and PK meet for lunch. She has the kids with her, and asks Jagger what he’d like for lunch. Like most two years olds, and myself, he says, ice cream. In her interview, she talks about his speech therapy and how they’re making progress. She’s not looking forward to leaving the kids for the trip.

LisaR has to make a trip to NYC before going to Mexico. She and housekeeper Lorena talk about Delilah’s new fashion career. Lisa, Harry, and Amelia are going to watch her in the Tommy Hilfiger show, and then she’s on to Mexico.

Everyone gathers at the airport. Dorit thinks the trip will be daunting, and is glad PK is coming along.

Fastest. Flight. Ever. Erika wants a margarita immediately after getting off the plane. In the limo, the who-owns-pink discussion is brought up. Dorit asks if there’s any decent shopping, and Erika says she’d rather have a burrito.

They get to the rental estate, which is, of course, awesome. In her interview, Kyle asks if it gets any better than this. I answer yes, if all that was in my backyard. She’s glad to have the getaway with Mauricio. Yeah, and how many other people? Mauricio shows everyone their rooms. Erika and Kyle talk about how precious time with the family is when you’re super busy.

In NYC, LisaR shows Delilah a picture of her walking a runway on Harry’s shoulders when she was little, and says it was meant to be. Delilah is very excited that she’ll be doing a show with Gigi Hadid. She practices her walk, and Lisa gives her some tips. Lisa says her own modeling experience was reject modeling, but in her mind she’s a supermodel. She’s also friends with Cindy Crawford, which counts for something.

Instead of Mexico, Eileen goes to therapy. She discusses grieving. In her interview, she says it’s good to have someone objective to talk to who gives you permission to have feelings. Eileen says the family is uncomfortable with her sadness, especially her son Jesse. The therapist asks if she tolerates being sad well, and she says she doesn’t like going to that place. The therapist thinks if she works on being okay with it, it might rub off on the others. Eileen says she thinks not going there keeps her from being present. In her interview, she says it’s a work in progress, and you can’t control how other people see you. That’ a really good point, and I’ll bet it’s a problem many people have.

The ladies go on a trip to the beach. Erika says, God forbid she’s trapped in the mansion all day. LisaV stays on shore, while the others use the Jet Skis. Kyle is super careful, and Dorit pretends to fall asleep. Erika takes a spill, but it’s all good. She was smart not to be wearing her sunglasses. I lost a pair of mine in the ocean.

Camille meets LisaR in NYC. Camille daughter is in a fashion show as well. In her interview, Camille explains how her daughter got the gig. Lisa tells her that Delilah will be doing her walk on the pier. Camille talks about the difficulty she’s had with Kelsey regarding communication about the kids. Lisa says she’s learning the same thing, that she can’t fix anybody else. Somehow this leads to her not wanting to be involved in anyone’s stuff, but going to Mexico anyway. We flash back to one of her altercations with Kim. Camille thinks she should step away from the situation with Eden. Lisa tells Camille that she told Eden that she shouldn’t try to fix everything.

A hermit crab! The gardens at the Mexican estate are gorgeous. Kyle and LisaV take a walk. Lisa tells Kyle about talking to Eden. She tells Kyle about how LisaR doesn’t think Kim is truly sober and she’s near death. Kyle is like, whaaat? We flash back to LisaR’s previous involvement. In her interview, Kyle says that LisaR apologized and had promised not to talk about Kim anymore, and now they’re back where they were. She tells LisaV that she’s the opposite of an enabler. She says just because she doesn’t give out personal details, LisaR is making them up, and no wonder Eden is concerned. Kyle says she spoke to LisaR about Eden inserting herself, and Lisa acted like she didn’t know why. She says just because Kim doesn’t want to be friends with LisaR, it’s no reason to fabricate things about her.

The group gathers for dinner. Mauricio swears he caught the tuna that they’re going to serve. Erika says she loves to fish, and PK says he caught a marlin once. He amends it to watching someone else catch one. I wouldn’t go near one of those. They are mean and I swear carry a vendetta. Kyle asks if Mauricio caught a bull too, and Dorit asks if he grew some vegetables. Kyle says he’s no Harry Hamlin, and talks about how he wanted to hire a handyman when they were broke. #WhatDidHarryDo

Dinner is served. PK says not only did Mauricio catch the biggest tuna, but also the tastiest one. Kyle tells everyone that LisaR is coming tomorrow, and relays what LisaV told her. LisaV says Eden was told that Kim was on the verge of death and that Kyle is an enabler. Dorit says Eden had strong feelings about Kim, and she had wondered why, since she doesn’t really know Kim. Erika wonders why LisaR would start a problem like that. Kyle says possibly because she’s not too smart. Dorit tells them about having smoothies at Eden’s house and how LisaR talked about putting in a Xanax, and pulled out a bag of pills. She adds that Eden said she takes things for anxiety. Erika says Kyle should give LisaR the benefit of the doubt, but Kyle isn’t quite on board with that. Erika feels skeptical, since she doesn’t have all the facts.

Kyle wants to have fun, but says this is really weighing on her. She doesn’t know how to look at LisaR and pretend. She says she can’t ignore her either.

LisaR arrives while everyone is in the pool, eating off of floating tables. It’s obvious that Kyle has something to say.

Next time, Mariachi bands, yachts, sliding down a bannister, a cow, and Kyle confronts LisaR.

😭 ✈ I’m sad to see Ladies of London go. Caroline #1 was a bit of a disappointment. I don’t mind her being emotionless, but she was really unfair to several of the women. I wonder if her move to Dubai has anything to do with it. The problem with being so stoic all the time, is that it has to come out somewhere. Although outwardly, her main concern seems to be not having her makeup guy anymore. I will miss her though, and I’m actually hoping we get to see her in her new surroundings next season. Or perhaps a spin-off show. I wouldn’t mind exploring places in Dubai other than the mall. We did get a glimpse of her new place, which no surprise, is just as amazing as the old one.

Caroline #2’s first English cookbook is going to be published, and she continues to act like the fairy princess I know she is underneath her mortal disguise. Julie’s daughter is off to college, and there were a lot of tears. But she has Mapperton as a consolation prize, so she should buck up. Juliet is now up to 100,000 followers on Instagram, which she feels validates her as a blogger. I’m pretty sure the show didn’t hurt any. There’s huge irony in what she wore to Caroline #1’s going away dinner. It looked like something Edina from Absolutely Fabulous would wear. Maybe it’s LacroixJoan Collins Sophie and her ex finally told the kids they’re getting a divorce. It looks like she and Caroline #1 have mended fences, but not so much her and Adela, although they hugged it out. There wasn’t much Marissa, but she’s looking forward to the family going back to America and eating avocados. I guess they don’t have those across the pond.

The best part? Adela calling Juliet a hideous dwarf in polyester. I don’t know if that outfit is polyester, but apparently Adela has the same opinion of it that I do. And since Juliet basically spoiled the dinner with her nasty comments, she deserves the label.

At the end, Caroline #1 bid us good-by, but said that you never know when the bitch is going to be back.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Jason wants to leave the hospital, but Sam says that’s not okay, and asks why he didn’t tell her he was in the hospital.

Sonny tells Ava that she brought Avery home late. She says she was just about to thank him for letting her tuck Avery in. He says there are other ways to show gratitude, like answering some questions.

Valentin and Nina are hanging out at a gazebo. He tells Nina it’s good to get away from everything, and she asks if that includes Anna.

Laura and Lulu visit Anna, whose house we don’t see enough of. They want to talk to her about Valentin.

Forensics supports Alexis’s statement. Dante tells her she’s free to go. When he leaves, Diane tells her to take a deep breath, and she can go to the bar review with a clear conscience.

Julian comes to the station because Dante wants to talk to him.

Franco remembers where he’s seen the trophies, and says Elizabeth is in trouble. A nurse comes in, and he says he has to talk to the police now.

Seth won’t let Elizabeth leave. He doesn’t want her showing the scrapbook to the police until she knows the truth. Is this dude a new character or is he disposable? I want to know before I invest anything.

Valentin says he didn’t tell Nina that the picture he lost was of Anna. He wanted to leave the past in the past. He explains that they were cadets at the WSB together. Nina asks if he was a spy.

Anna tells Lulu and Laura that she’s given all of the information she has to the police. Laura says she thought the investigation was ongoing, and Lulu asks if she’s found anything new that can help her get custody of Charlotte.

Sam tells Jason that he has lousy judgment when it comes to his own health, and she’ll make those decisions. He tells her that Julian drugged him.

Julian tells Dante that if Franco was kidnapped, he wasn’t involved. Dante laughs, and says he had nothing to do with the deaths of Duke and Carrrlos, and didn’t hold a knife to Alexis’s throat either .

Franco asks the nurse to get Nathan. He says it’s about a case and it’s important. When she leaves, he struggles to extract himself from all the IVs. An intern comes in telling him he needs an MRI. He asks if that means they take the IVs out.

Seth tells Elizabeth that his name is going to be dragged through the mud like Tom’s, and what about his mother? She says he’s not responsible for Tom’s crimes, and there might be something in the book that could be a clue. Seth says he’d believed Tom had cleaned up his act, but he was as sick as ever. When he saw Tom attacking a woman, he knew Tom was never going to stop. Elizabeth is like, whaaat?

Sonny asks Ava how business is with the Jerome organization. She says she’s now a legit art dealer. He says she still hears things, and someone is coming after the Jeromes. She says she thought it was him. She tells Sonny that if someone is putting pressure on the Jerome organization, she doesn’t know who it is.

Jason explains to Sam that Julian wanted him incapacitated for a few hours, and tells her what happened. He says Julian seems genuinely afraid, not just for himself, but for her and Danny.

Julian sees Alexis. Diane says her client has nothing to say. He asks if she confessed, and Diane asks why he cares.

Laura wonders if there’s anything they can use against Valentin in court. Lulu says it doesn’t necessarily have to be something illegal, just something to show he’s an unfit parent. Anna says she has nothing that would have any bearing on the case. She found out that they knew each other years ago.

Valentin tells Nina sorry to disappoint her, but he wasn’t a spy; he was a desk agent. He says they didn’t think he’d be that effective in the field. She says he’s the most capable man she’s ever known, and he says he was different back then.

Seth tells Elizabeth that the woman was almost too drunk to stand, and Tom had a knife. Elizabeth says Seth defended her, but he says she got the knife, dropped it, and ran. He tells Elizabeth that he saw Tom clearly for the first time, as a predator who would keep hunting until he was stopped. He picked up the knife and stabbed Tom until he was dead. Elizabeth says that he was defending all the women Tom ever attacked or would have, and can’t be blamed. He doesn’t deserve to be prosecuted. Seth says he will be, for what he did to Franco.

The intern parks Franco’s wheelchair by the elevator and goes to do an intern thing. Franco gets up and walks out. The nurse tells Nathan that Franco needs to speak with him. The intern is looking for his patient, and when Nathan asks who the patient is, he says Franco.

Valentin tells Nina about having severe scoliosis when he was younger. She says she knew a girl at school who had it and wore a brace. He says he went untreated and became a hunchback. Richard III (he heard me!), Igor, Quasimodo, and him.

Anna tells Laura and Lulu that Valentin was going under another name, but it could have been a legal name change, which wouldn’t help a custody case. Laura asks when she realized she knew him. Anna says there was something in his eyes, but he looked very different back then.

Jason tells Sam that he wants her and Danny to go to a safe house. She thinks that’s extreme, and he says there’s a woman out there who blew up car and nearly killed him and Curtis. Sam wants to stick around until the baby is born, but Jason says they’re vulnerable if they stay in Port Charles. She asks if he’d come too, and he says he has to finish it. He wants Sonny exonerated and them to be safe. Sam says the boss lady could be watching him. Jason suggests making her think he’s given up.

Diane tells Julian that there’s nothing to confess, and tells Alexis not to let this weasel distract her. Alexis wants to talk to Julian for a moment and Diane goes ahead. Alexis tells Julian that she recounted the whole story and realized she never did it. She dropped the knife and ran. Julian says he’s relieved, and asks if she is. She says she’s going to tell Dante everything.

Elizabeth asks Seth what he did to Franco. Seth says this isn’t who he is. Aarrgh! I hate when people say that. It is you; you’re the one who did it. He tells Elizabeth that he’s sorry. He beat Franco senseless and left him in a storage locker, letting the police believe he was the killer. He says his life is over, and Tom destroyed him like he did Elizabeth. Elizabeth says that Tom hurt her, but she survived. She says she has a life for herself and three beautiful sons who need her. She says that Seth doesn’t have to be damaged by Tom, just let her call the police.

Too late. Franco comes in swinging. Elizabeth tells Franco to stop, saying that Seth isn’t even fighting back. Franco asks what Seth was going to do. Seth says he doesn’t know, but he’s not like Tom; he doesn’t get off on hurting women. He confesses that he killed his brother, but can’t say for certain whether he would have come back for Franco. Franco puts his hands around Seth’s neck, and Seth tells Franco to kill him because he deserves it.

Dante gets the hospital records regarding Tom’s employment. Nathan finds Seth’s address, and Dante says they should check it out.

Sonny asks Ava about internal politics, and if anyone died unexpectedly, giving someone else a promotion. Ava can only come up with peons, and says that she and Julian are the last of their generation. All their siblings are dead.

Alexis tells Julian she’s going to confess to the hit and run, but Julian says he’ll claim he remembers who hit him and say it wasn’t her. She asks if he’s still looking for leverage. He says she deserves to be a lawyer again, but she’s not so sure she’s ready.

Jason tells Sam that they have to make sure everyone is in the right place at the right time. Felix comes by (good to see him!) and Sam asks when her dad has physical therapy. Felix says confidentiality rules dictate that he can’t tell her, but gives her details as to where the schedule is.

Laura asks what Anna remembers, but Anna says it was a relatively brief acquaintance. They wonder what happened that Valentin left the WSB. Anna says he was a decent guy back then. Their courses overlapped and they would help each other. She’d regarded him as a friend.

Nina tells Valentin not to call himself a hunchback. He says why, because it’s not politically correct? and I laugh. He explains what he looked like, and tells Nina about how the disease affected his entire body, causing his arm to contract as well. He says there was pity, revulsion, and bullying, but it fueled his anger, and he learned to resolve conflicts with strategy. He went to the library to get away from everyone looking at him, but never really seeing him. He tells Nina that the disease would have eventually affected his heart, but then there was Anna, who changed everything.

Nina asks if Anna encouraged him to get treatment. He says it’s more than just treatment, it’s a painful, dangerous surgery. He tells Nina that Anna inspired him. They helped each other with their schoolwork and they were friends, but when he tried to kiss her, she was disgusted. She didn’t say it in those words, but he knew. Nina says she’s glad he got the surgeries, because it made him tall and strong, and he deserves to be those things. She says she’s known beautiful, gorgeous people who are hideous inside, including Anna, because she can’t see him the way Nina does. Valentin looks for pity and disgust in her eyes, but she says he’ll never find them; he’ll only find how much he means to her. Tears roll down his face as he thanks her, and she thanks him for telling her. They kiss. He suggests they go home, but she says there’s an errand she has to run first.

Anna tells Lulu and Laura that there was a goodness in Valentin when she knew him at the academy, and she sees it when he interacts with Charlotte. She wonders if Lulu can meet him halfway, but Lulu balks at shared custody. Laura says it will give her bonding time while they build their case. Lulu suddenly remembers something she has to do. She thanks Anna, and practically runs out the door.

Laura tells Anna that she has the feeling there’s something Anna isn’t telling her about her time with Valentin. Anna says Valentin is obsessed with something he wants her to pay for, but she doesn’t know what it is. Laura says he’s evil and dangerous, and if he hurts Lulu, she’ll kill him. Now tell us how you really feel.

Alexis tells Julian that she’s been preparing for months, and knows what to say to get her license back, but she doesn’t know how to not stop at a liquor store on the way home. Julian says he supports her, and not because he wants back in her life, but he cares about her, if only as her friend. Diane comes back in and tells Alexis, let’s go.

Sam comes back to Jason’s room. She says Julian has an appointment in a half hour. Jason takes out his phone.

Sonny’s phone rings. He tells Ava so long.

Elizabeth begs Franco not to kill Seth. He lets go. He tells Elizabeth that he thought he had a gift of entitlement that allowed him to decide who lives and dies, but he doesn’t want to be that guy because of her. Nathan, Dante, and a random officer bust in. France says good thing they’re here, and they found the right guy

On the phone, Jason asks if there’s any way they can come to the hospital. He could use a visit from an old friend. I’m assuming he’s talking to Sonny.

Alexis tells Diane that she doesn’t want her license back yet. She needs to wait until she’s ready, and she’s not there. She wants to tell the committee, but Diane says she’ll tell them that Alexis is writing a novel. Julian offers to drive Alexis back, but Alexis says no. He tells her that he’s proud of her. Like she cares.

Anna has a headache. She finds Valentin’s WSB records in her inbox. The doorbell rings. I’ll bet I know who it is. It’s Nina, who walks right in, breezing past Anna. She asks what Anna wants with her husband.

Lulu meets Valentin at The Floating Rib. She says they need to talk about their daughter.

Seth is read his rights. Dante asks Elizabeth and Franco to come to the station, but Elizabeth says Franco needs to go back to the hospital. Franco asks if he has to go, and Elizabeth says yes. He needs medical care and she knows an excellent nurse. They kiss.

Tomorrow, Nina asks Anna why she’s obsessed with Valentin, Michael confronts Nell about who she’s seeing, and Lulu wants to come to an agreement with Valentin.

The Haves and the Have Nots

The police dig up Quincy’s body.

Candace and Jeffrey wait for Veronica at the hotel bar. Candace tells Jeffrey she has to see her brother, but Jeffrey insists his mother is coming. Candace thinks someone should shoot Veronica and put them all out of their misery. Jeffrey tells her to calm down. He says she wants him, not Candace, and he’s going to give it to her. Candace says the more he gives, the more she’ll want, adding that she ought to know, as someone who’s blackmailed people. Jeffrey says he’ll marry Melissa if he has to. It doesn’t mean that it has to be a real marriage. Candace thinks he’s out of his mind.

Justin calls Jeffrey pretending he’s calling another cop, and tells him they’ve found a body. They make plans to meet. Jeffrey tells Candace that they found Quincy. I can’t imagine Quincy doesn’t have a million enemies, although burying him the backyard was a poorly thought out idea. Candace wants to jet, but Jeffrey stops her. She says his mother is behind this, and she’s leaving.

Too late. Veronica comes in with a vase of flowers. She goes to the hotel desk and makes up a story about a guy named David leaving them in a taxi, and how they were supposed to be delivered to an Erica. She has no last name, and asks the desk clerk if she can help. The clerk says she’ll check later, but Veronica is insistent, saying that the driver was very upset about it. The clerk calls Erica’s room and tells her there are flowers from a David Harrington. Erica says she’ll come down and get them. Why? is a good question. Wouldn’t you have them bring the flowers up? Veronica thanks the clerk, and goes to meet Jeffrey and Candace.

Veronica makes Candace switch chairs because she wants to face the door. Candace asks what Veronica wants. Veronica says she doesn’t want to be there as much as Candace doesn’t, and makes fun of her pocketbook being a knockoff. She says she’s there to help for Jeffrey’s sake. She wants to know everything about what they did with Quincy. Candace says they didn’t do anything, but Jeffrey tells her that they stabbed him. He doesn’t remember how many times exactly, but goes with over 50 and less than 100. Candace says she’s not doing this, but Veronica tells her to sit back down. She says that over 50 will definitely get them sentenced. Candace says she went to law school, but Veronica says you actually have to read the books, not use them for knee pads. Whoa.

Veronica asks where Quincy was stabbed. Jeffrey says in the back, but he stabbed more than Candace, mentioning that Quincy had beat him, and Veronica says she knows. She says that kind of overkill is only found in rare cases. She wants to know where Candace got the money for the house, and Candace tells her from text book sales. BA-DUM-CHH! She’s not giving Veronica ammunition, but Jeffrey says they’re in this together. Candace says Veronica wants something from Jeffrey, but wonders what she wants from her. Veronica says she’ll figure that out when she knows what she’s dealing with.

Jeffrey says that Jim bought the house. Candace says she got it from Jim, but through banker Lloyd. Veronica says she must have blackmailed Jim again, and wants to know what it was. She says she knows everything about him, but not enough for him to buy her a house. She calls Candace stupid, paying cash for a house when she has no income, but says she likes her. She wants to know what the police will find, and Jeffrey says they buried the body in the backyard. Veronica calls them two geniuses and laughs. Candace says it’s not funny, but Veronica says it is to her. She asks them both to give her a dollar to hire her. She also wants the keys to the house. Candace says the police are already searching, but Veronica says she’s taking possession of the property. Candace thinks they probably changed the locks since the bank foreclosed.

Candace explains about the mortgage and forging the income verification. Veronica nearly falls out of her chair laughing. She tells Candace that Lloyd is in the Cryer’s pocket, and she was hoodwinked. Candace tells Jeffrey that Veronica isn’t going to help them. Veronica says the foreclosure just saved her life, and asks when it happened, before or after they found the body. The light bulb comes on, and Candace asks if she’s sure. Veronica says 100%. She tells Candace to explain it to Jeffrey and leaves.

Candace tells Jeffrey that the search warrant isn’t valid. Whatever they found after the bank took possession is inadmissible. They can’t be charged. Jeffrey asks what that means, and she says it means that bitch is brilliant.

Jim tells Kathryn he did her a favor, and that she’s the one who killed Jennifer. Kathryn says Veronica did it, and he wonders how she got their gun out of their safe. Kathryn says she asked to borrow it, and thought that David was having an affair with Jennifer. He wants to know how she got Jennifer to come over to the house, but Kathryn says she doesn’t know. Jim continues to interrogate her. He says if she gets Kathryn on the stand, she’ll be torn apart. As she answers his questions, he finds fault in each of the answers, and explains why they’re wrong. He says there’s science involved; it’s not guesswork. He asks her what happened, and she says she shot the bitch. He says Jennifer was the DA, a federal officer, and they’re going to be looking for her. Kathryn says she was pushed by him, Jennifer and Veronica. She goes over the list of things she’s told him to do and how he screwed them up. He asks if she feels better.

Jim asks who knew Jennifer was there. Kathryn says just them, and he asks if she’s insane. She says yes, and how about if she shoots him, and says it was a suicide pact between him and Jennifer? She tells him that Jennifer got between her and her only living child. He says he’ll handle it, and she says he’d better. And he’d better get the rugs cleaned. After that, she wants him out.

There’s a knock at Wyatt’s door. Dealer Pete comes in and Wyatt apologizes. Pete says he heard Wyatt overdid it, but it’s cool. They talk about the apartment. Wyatt says it’s great, and Pete asks why he called. Wyatt says he wants some blow, and Pete reminds him that he almost died. Pete says he almost OD’d, and he doesn’t want to be set up for murder. He’s not selling Wyatt any more drugs and suggests he get help. Wyatt says he doesn’t need Pete. Pete says he’s doing Wyatt a favor. Wyatt tells him to get out, shoving him out the door.

Hanna tries to get Benny to eat. She tells Quincy Jr. that they have to register him for school tomorrow, and he’s not too thrilled. She gives him something to read. Benny pushes the food away, saying he’s not hungry. Hanna puts it in the refrigerator like Joan Crawford. She tells Benny she’s looking for a job in the morning, and he might want to do the same. She knows he wants to own his own business, but he needs to save up some money and get another tow yard. He says it’s not easy, and she says no one said it would be.

Benny’s phone rings and it’s Mitch. He tells Benny to find Candace and keep her safe. He says War knows he did it, and he’s coming for Candace. Benny thinks they have time, but Mitch says War got out. He says they’ll catch up when he gets out, and Benny says they’re at the Fountain Drive Hotel.

Benny tells Hanna that Candace is in trouble. War is after her. Hanna asks what he wants with her, and Benny says he thinks she crossed him. Hanna says she practically raised War and he isn’t like that. Benny tells her that War threatened to kill Candace, and Hanna doesn’t realize how dangerous he is. He wants the keys so he can find Candace before War does. Hanna says she doesn’t know where the keys are at, and Quincy Jr. says he was playing with them. She tells him keys are not toys. Hanna is full of cliché remarks tonight. Benny takes the keys and goes.

Quita is sitting on the stoop, and sees a car going back and forth. It’s Wyatt. He says he’s lost and looking for some blow. The guy with Quita asks if he has money, and says he can get him some. Another guy stands on the driver’s side, and the first one pulls out a gun. Wyatt says he just needs a fix. Quita remarks what a nice car it is, and first dude adds that he has money too. Quita says he had money. She asks if that’s all Wyatt has, and he says yes. She says, let’s go where you live and see what you got. The other guy recognizes him as Jim’s son. Quita says they need someone to take him, and he asks them to let him go. Quita gets in the car with the gun and tells him to drive. This just seems stupid.

The clean-up detail is at the Cryer’s house. As soon as they’re done, Jim asks David where Jennifer is, and he says with Mama Rose. He says they’re getting in deep, and this is a big one. Jim says that David and Jennifer were…close. He says it’s all going to come back and visit them, but he’s hoping by then they’ll be really old or really dead. David says they’re going to take the body back to Jennifer’s house and set it on fire. One of the men Jennifer convicted is going to be very unlucky, and will be accused of the crime. He doesn’t like it, but Jim says it’s too late for that. David feels like they keep getting in deeper and deeper. Jim tells him Veronica didn’t do it; Kathryn did. David asks if he’s sure, and Jim says she told him herself, but no matter who did it, they’re in this together. He says they have to keep their heads on straight, and he’s concerned about Veronica. David says she won’t destroy herself. Jim asks about her mental state. David says beyond the delusional paranoia he deals with every day, they’ll have to wait and see. Jim wants David to talk to her, but he says he’s done. Jim says he’ll talk to her then. David says as loyal as he was when he was with Veronica, he’s even more loyal to his commitment to be without her. Jim wonders what it is with these women.

When he gets in the car, David’s phone ring. It’s Erica. He says he’s been busy, but it’s nice to hear a kind voice. She thanks him for the flowers, but he says he didn’t send any. She says they have his name on the card, and he tells her to throw them out, adding to put them outside immediately. While we think for a moment that there must be a bomb or something in them, when Erica opens the door, Veronica is standing there.

Next time, Veronica confronts Erica, Quita kidnaps Wyatt in his own house, and Benny tells Candace that War is looking for her.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

We flash back to the various white parties that Kyle has had. This year, she’s throwing everyone a curveball by having a Great Gatsby party instead. She has gigantic lamps with shades out on the patio that I love. The party planner explains what absinthe is to her, and she’s not too sure she wants to go that far in authenticity when she finds out it can cause hallucinations.

LisaV is on vacation. Even though Kyle is insistent that she be at the party, she doesn’t want to come back. She says she’s in France, but Kyle doesn’t buy it. In her interview, Kyle says she’ll be there, since she loves to make an entrance.

LisaR and Harry are making pies. She’s not sure if they have flour or a rolling pin, and Harry dubs it a disaster. Her cook digs a rolling pin out from somewhere, and manages to extract some flour. In her interview, Lisa says she’s a stranger in her own kitchen. She talks about Harry and Cindy Crawford having a pie bake-off, and finally calling it a draw. Celebrities, they’re just like us!

They’re preparing for the barbecue, and we flash back to Kyle’s idea of a barbecue, which wasn’t very close to an actual barbecue. Eden is all otherworldly looking, and brings them a “love bottle” as a gift. Dorit arrives, dressed down with her hair down. Kyle points out that they do have crystal on the table and bartenders, so it isn’t totally down home. They look across the valley – it’s a fabulous view – where LisaV lives, and Kyle asks if LisaR has binoculars.

LisaR introduces everyone. Her girls are star struck over Erika. Dorit talks to Eden about her annoyance at Kyle, and Eden says she got over it by doing a hundred Pilates classes. Eden thinks that Kim’s behavior at PK’s birthday party was closed off, but Dorit doesn’t want to be talking behind anyone’s back. She suggests that Eden talk to Kyle. In her interview, Dorit says she’s learned her lesson after Pantygate. Eden says she doesn’t want anyone to feel uncomfortable.

Eileen arrives and LisaR startles me by screeching her name. Oh good, Camille is here, but Dorit has to leave. That was fast. Apparently, Kim wasn’t invited. Eileen was glad to have a normal conversation with her the last time they met. She says she hates “icky energy,” which opens the door to Eden speaking her mind. She tells Kyle that Kim wasn’t very nice to her at PK’s party. In her interview, Kyle says Eden is like Groundhog Day. Eden says it wasn’t anything in particular, but Kim was abrasive and kind of rude. In her interview, LisaR is a peeved that Eden is having this conversation in the middle of her party. I would be too. Dog Lulu makes a poopy, which breaks the tension. I don’t ever want to agree with Kim about anything, but I’m thinking I’d want Eden to get off my back too. At one point, Eden talks about Kim’s coldness toward her as red flag behavior, but Kim doesn’t know Eden. Just because she’s sober too, doesn’t mean Kim has to be her best friend.

Kyle asks why it keeps getting brought up, and suggests Eden is inserting herself where she doesn’t belong. In her interview, Erika says that Eden should be more chill. She tells Eden that she shouldn’t have expectations of anyone. Eileen feels uncomfortable talking about Kim. Everyone disappears, leaving Kyle and Eden alone. Kyle says they all need support systems, and at another time they might be friends. She asks if Eden is coming in for a long awkward hug, and she is. Kyle demonstrates the hug in her interview with one of her dogs.

The food looks wonderful! Erika says she is not disappointed. Kyle wonders if she’ll fit in her Gatsby outfit now. The blueberry pie comes out. Erika wonders what Harry can’t do. #WhatDidHarryDo

The next morning, Dorit’s new trainer comes to the house. Dorit wants a toned body, but doesn’t want to work for it. Don’t we all. After the session, she suggests a cocktail.

Erika goes to the CBS studio for her The Young and the Restless audition. She’s a nervous wreck. They’re going to tape it and give it to the writers to create something for her. In her interview, she said the last time she did acting, she was a kid, and we flash back to a teenage dweeby Erika in a scene from some movie I’ve never heard of. In her interview, Eileen says the best thing an actor can do is listen. Truth! The director gives Erika some tips, and she’s good at following direction. She tells them how nervous she is, but you’d never know it.

Kyle chooses jewelry to go with her Gatsby costume. In her interview, she says she views the 20s as all money and glamour. Tell that to the people who stood in soup lines. Eileen wears a dress swiped from Days of Our Lives. Dorit, who stops by to pick up Kyle, is wearing an amazing turquoise faux fur wrap. On the way there, Dorit tells them that Eden called Kyle an enabler. This gets Mauricio’s hackles up, which we don’t see too often.

Erika’s character is gangster moll, and she looks like Jean Harlow. Kyle has everyone pose by an antique car and they take pictures. They’re all wearing wigs so it’s hard to recognize everyone. In her interview, Kyle says she’d like to get to know Eden, but asks if every meeting has to be a therapy session. She thinks she should start charging.

There’s a problem with the heaters. Kyle isn’t happy about a couple of other things, and is a little stressed. Eden interrupts her conversation with Kim, saying that she gets emotional seeing the two of them together, since it reminds her of her and her sister. In her interview, Kyle says she just told Eden to get her nose out of their business, and now it’s way up in there. Kyle tells Eden that she’s not an enabler. In her interview, Eden says that in smoothing things over, Kyle enables Kim. Kyle basically tells her to back off.

LisaR is curious, but rejects Eileen’s suggestion to eavesdrop. Kim says that Eden seems to be looking for trouble, and she doesn’t need that. In her interview, I think Eden is reading way more into this than she needs to, and is projecting like crazy. They talk about Eden saying that Kim attacked LisaR. Kim says the word attack is the wrong choice, and Eden just kind of jumped in there. In her interview, Kim says negative choices bring negative consequences. Eden tries to act like everyone else is talking about it, but she really means LisaR. Part of Eden’s problem is that she thinks one size fits all.

Guess who’s here? She Who Can Do No Wrong. In a gorgeous white antique car. LisaV says she couldn’t let Kyle down because friends support one another. PK talks to Erika about warming up to his wife, and she admits to being a cold fish. She calls herself the c-word, and LisaV nearly chokes.

Eileen and LisaR dance the Charleston. Kim has to leave for a date. Camille says it’s the happiest she’s seen her and she’s in a great place. They talk about how Kim is friends with Brandi now, and we flash back to when Brandi accused her of doing crystal meth in the bathroom. In her interview, Kim says she doesn’t think she’ll ever be friends with Eden.

Port-a-potty hijinks! Eileen tells Kim that everyone is in her corner. In her interview, Kim says that Eileen should call a spade a spade, and sometimes keep her mouth shut. I don’t even have anything to add to that.

Eden tells LisaV that she’s trying to snap out of it. She thinks that Kim got offended, and Kyle backed that up. Lisa says Kyle isn’t an enabler, and she doesn’t think it’s Eden’s business. She tells Eden that they didn’t get off on the wrong foot, and she’s happy about that, but her other foot will kick Eden in the ass if she messes with her friend Kyle. Enough said. I’ll bet Eden crapped her pants.

Next time, a trip to Mexico, LisaR’s daughter does the runway with Gigi Hadid, and LisaV tells Kyle what Eden said.

🗺  Ladies of London mention. Juliet is of Polish descent (her parents moved to the US when she was born), and we got to see some of her roots. Polish is also her first language, and she didn’t learn English until she went to school. This was interesting for me, since I’m Lithuanian – not the same, but close. When I was growing up, we frequently listened to Polish radio stations, and I’m sure kept some of the same traditions. The polka, anyone? Another highlight was Caroline #2’s Midsummer’s Eve celebration. I love Caroline #2 – I’m convinced she’s a fairy princess under a curse where she has to live among mortals. But even though she’s ethereal, she’s tough. She was like, I broke some bamboo and now I’m building a Maypole. Caroline #1 called it a “ridiculous spectacle,” and told us she hates flowers and ribbons, which should be no surprise to anyone. The next episode should be good, when a farewell dinner is given for Caroline #1, and Adela calls Julie a poisonous leper in polyester. It’s also the season finale.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Jordan says mm-mm-mm like a secretary I used to work with, and tells Curtis that Buzz’s statement rings true, but that also makes him an accomplice. She says he makes for a compelling witness. Curtis says she has to admit that Sonny had nothing to do with the car bomb.

Michael brings lunch to Sonny. Sonny talks about Diane’s maneuverings, and says it looks good for him, but he still misses Morgan. Carly walks in saying she wants to eat immediately, because there’s nothing worse than cold onion rings. I tend to agree, but overcooked pasta is up there too.

Jason sees Elizabeth at The Floating Rib. They talk for a second and Elizabeth gets involved with her phone. Jason asks if everything is okay. Kiki joins them and asks if he’s there to help them with Franco.

Sam visits Alexis. Alexis asks if Sam wants lunch, but Sam is there to talk in private about something. Julian calls from upstairs asking if Alexis has seen his wallet. Sam asks what the hell he’s doing there.

Carly gives Michael and Sonny some souvenir towels from the airport because she didn’t get a chance to go shopping. She bought one for Morgan too, since she forgot. She tells them that Josslyn was crying in the car when she remembered she wasn’t going to see Morgan, and she “isn’t there yet.” Michael says he’ll talk to her. He feels that she might feel differently if it comes from him instead of her mom. Michael leaves, and Sonny asks Carly what about them?

Jordan heaps praises on Curtis for his solid work, and says it should clear Sonny. She’s concerned that the new DA is more interested with the win of nailing Sonny though. Curtis wants to find out where Winston and the boss lady are hiding. Jordan thinks they should bring Buzz in after convincing him that he’s safe with them, but Curtis says that might take some work. He suggests they chill until his truck is repaired.

Alexis asks to speak to Sam alone. Sam says she’s done trying to understand Julian. He leaves, and Sam says she thought she understood Alexis. She asks why Alexis let Julian back in, and Alexis says he’s blackmailing her. Sam asks for what, and Alexis says she hit him with her car and left him for dead. Nothing like getting right to the point.

Elizabeth tells Jason she can deal with it on her own, and Sam can fill Jason in. She and Kiki sit down, and Jason exits. Kiki apologizes for making an assumption. Elizabeth says she’s used to awkward when it comes to Jason and Franco. She wonders if they should call the police, but Kiki says they have a warrant out for Franco’s arrest. They’re charging him Tom’s murder.

Curtis asks if Jordan minds hanging out or wants him to leave. She says that’s on him, and he thinks he should take off. She says she does have other cases to work on. He says he knows she doesn’t like sitting still, and when he comes back, things will be taken care of.

Alexis tells Sam that it was an accident. Sam tells her leaving the scene is a crime, like she doesn’t know. Alexis says she called 911, but later found out that Julian knew, so she allowed him to convalesce in her house. Sam says it makes sense now, and realizes that Winston was looking for Julian. She asks what else Alexis is lying about. Alexis says she’s been drinking from morning to night for months, and that’s why she hit Julian with the car – she was drunk. She tells Sam that she’s deeply ashamed.

Kiki tells Elizabeth about the knife Franco had bought, and says the police mentioned something bizarre about a dog crate with Tom’s DNA on it. She tells Elizabeth about Tom trying to hit on her, and how she helped lure Tom to the studio. She says Franco told her that he was only going to talk to him. Elizabeth says none of it is her fault. Kiki asks if she knows what happened.

Michael greets Josslyn. She says she didn’t want to come back if it meant living with Sonny. Nell tells her that Carly and Sonny are getting back together. Josslyn says she doesn’t care; he killed Morgan. Michael says Sonny had nothing to do with it, but she says that doesn’t mean he’s innocent; he’s a mobster. Michael says he blamed Sonny too, but it’s easier to be angry than it is to grieve. Good one, Michael. This explains the load of diatribes on Facebook.

Carly says Jax talked Josslyn into coming home, but Josslyn made her agree that she didn’t have to live at Sonny’s. Sonny asks what about her. Carly says as much as she wants to be with him, she’s going to stay with her daughter.

Elizabeth tells Kiki that Franco didn’t kill Tom. Kiki thinks maybe he ran, but Elizabeth tells her about Franco’s car in the parking lot at Gene’s and finding his phone. She thinks something bad happened to him.

Sam says she knew Alexis was in trouble, but didn’t know how to ask, so she ignored it and she’s sorry. Alexis tells her not to be. She has every right to be angry. Alexis tells Sam that she was drunk when she was babysitting Danny. She started going outside of town to drink, but ran into Julian anyway. (Literally!) She says Julian was helping her detox and encouraging her to go to AA, which she did. She’s been sober two days and ironically, has Julian to thank for that.

Jason sees Julian, and tells him that they both know he’s connected with Winston and the boss lady. Julian says it affects all of them, and wants to talk to him.

Michael tells Josslyn it’s hard; the shock and unfairness of losing Morgan is excruciating, but she has to go through it. Morgan wouldn’t want them to be angry and tear the family apart. Josslyn starts to cry.

Carly wants to believe that once Sonny is cleared, the family will have a fresh start. Sonny agrees, but she says what about the day he finds out who’s responsible for Morgan’s death? What happens then?

Curtis brings sweet tea and food back to Jordan from some place they used to frequent. She says all the work they did with Buzz, now the food, it reminds her of old times when they were totally in sync.

Elizabeth tells Kiki that she took the phone to the phone store, but had no luck with drying it out because they were too busy trying to sell her a new phone. Been there. Know that feeling. Kiki asks what about the woman Franco wants to protect, and asks if Elizabeth knows who it might be?

Alexis tells Sam that she went to one meeting and was told she’ll have to start apologizing for what she did. She wants Sam to let her know when she’s ready. Sam says not yet, but she loves and supports her. She says she came over to discuss something Elizabeth said. She thinks Alexis is involved with Tom’s murder and implied that Sam didn’t know Alexis at all. She asks if there’s any truth to that, and Alexis says she may have killed Tom.

Julian tells Jason that Sam showed up at Alexis’s today and discovered him there. Jason is like, I’ll bite, what now? Julian tells him he’s living at Alexis’s house.

Sonny tells Carly he doesn’t know how he’ll feel, but he’s probably going to be furious. At this moment though, he feels that he’s learned a painful lesson about retaliation, and would think twice about it. Carly says it’s not exactly what she wanted to hear, but Sonny says it’s all he’s got. He says on New Year’s Eve they talked about living in the moment, and hopes she didn’t forget that. She says she didn’t. He kisses her. They kiss some more.

Nell tells Josslyn that Michael is right. Bad things happen. It’s scary and random, and sometimes unfair, but horrible things happen to people. Josslyn asks what they’re supposed to do. Nell repeats what Michael told her about being a victim to her anger, and says Josslyn has to move through it to get to the grief. She says Josslyn has a lot of supportive people in her life, including her. She says when she first came to town, Josslyn was happy living with her mom. The Josslyn she sees now isn’t too happy, and maybe it’s something to consider.

Jordan and Curtis joke around about old times. She talks about the stakeouts being tedious, but Curtis says those were some of the best times of his life. He says he could go back to his room and practice mindfulness, or they could continue reminiscing over a game of poker. He pulls out a deck of cards.

Carly wants to check on Josslyn. Sonny doesn’t like saying good-by, and she says she feels the same way, but she has to go. Josslyn comes in with Michael and Nell. Michael says Josslyn has something to tell them. Nell tries to excuse herself, but Michael wants her to stay. Josslyn talks about Morgan teaching her to ride a bike, and how he said it hurts sometimes to be brave, but it hurts more to give up. If she’d given up with the bike, she wouldn’t have learned how to ride and regretted it, so she’s not giving up on Sonny. She hugs him.

Elizabeth says she’s hoping for confirmation soon. Kiki says if this woman killed Tom, what’s to stop her from killing again, but Elizabeth thinks she’s not capable of that. Kiki thinks they should go to the police with the information they have.

Alexis tells Sam about Tom pulling the knife on her, and that she went crazy, but doesn’t remember anything after getting the knife from him. She says the body was found in the alley, so who else could it be? Sam says they would have questioned her if they had any evidence. Alexis says they’re after Franco and he has something on her, and she fully expects the police to come knocking at her door. Sam jets, leaving Alexis to worry about that on her own.

Jason asks Julian what Winston wanted, but Julian says he’s told him what he needs to know. He leaves and Jason sips his coffee. Where’s Valentin today? I miss him. He’s quickly become a favorite of mine.

Sonny thanks Josslyn. She asks if Avery is there, and Sonny tells her that she’s upstairs. Josslyn goes to see her, and Carly thanks Michael. Nell says he’s a great big brother and Michael says she helped. She says she just told the truth that Josslyn has a great stepfather who will always be there for her. Sonny looks grim, and not at all like he just got a compliment.

Curtis tells Jordan that her poker face stinks, and that he called her bluff three times in a row. He says he always know what’s going on behind those curls and beautiful eyelashes. She tells him take it to his girlfriend. He insists on seeing her cards – a pair of twos – and she says she thought she’d take a shot. He says he’s been known to do that too, and kisses her.

Kiki tells Elizabeth that Franco has always been there for her, and she’s going to be there for him and not sit around. She’s going to see what she can do about the phone. They agree on no cops. She tells Elizabeth to stay in touch and leaves. Elizabeth texts Franco again, asking if he talked to his mother.

Julian comes back to Alexis’s place, and asks how it went. Alexis says she told Sam the truth. She says he told her that he’d take care of the Tom situation, and asks how he’s doing that. She asks if he did something to Franco.

Sam sees Elizabeth and says they need to find Franco now.

Jason gets up, but doesn’t look too good. He falls on his face.

Tomorrow, Julian might be behind Franco’s disappearance, Curtis and Jordan get busy, and Tracy tries to revive Jason.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Dorit is having a 49th birthday party for PK. She wants something simple, intimate and elegant, but with pow. Whatever that is. Boy George will be performing, but she wants to keep it a secret from the guests until it’s time for the show. Dorit and PK discuss logistics.

Back in Greece, Erika is debuting her single at 3 am. Kyle talks about branching out from being a wife and mother with her stores, and how she has the TV show in the works. She tells Erika that it’s bringing up a lot of emotions and memories. She talks about her mother bringing her to the set of Little House on the Prairie at the crack of dawn. Erika gives Tom a call, and tells him how glad she is of his love and support. He does seem like a really cool guy.

Eileen and LisaR go rollerblading. Dorit, who’s never done it before, joins them. In her interview, Dorit says if this is what she has to do in order to hit the reset button, so be it, although she’d rather be having a cocktail somewhere. I’ve never rollerbladed either, so my sympathies are with her. I stink on regular roller skates and I’m even worse on ice skates. Lisa says she likes anyone who’s willing to move on. Afterward, Dorit invites the girls to PK’s birthday. She wonders if she should invite Kim. Lisa says it’s cool with her, but she appreciates the heads up. They call Erika to wish her luck.

Erika gets ready for the show. The stage is built on a cliff which is not exactly conducive to stilettos.

Harrison! Eden visits LisaV. The ponies! They’re having tea outside. Giggy! Eden just got done with a 48-hour relationship, which gives us a lot of insight on her character. The guy quit smoking because she didn’t want to date a smoker. Then – how dare he – ate a cheeseburger and immediately afterward, reached for a mint. She told him that he was going after the mint like an after-dinner cigarette, he accused her of having a type-A personality, and she broke things off. At first, I liked her, but I’m having second thoughts now. This is wrong on so many levels. First of all, she shows no appreciation for the guy quitting smoking for her, and then acts like having a mint is all kinds of wrong. The worst part is that she’s an addict herself, but is apparently unforgiving when it comes to other people’s coping mechanisms. And sometimes a mint is just a mint. Maybe he was concerned that he’d have bad breath after the burger. Geez. I think Eden might be a little picky. Lisa and Eden discuss game night. Lisa says Kim is great, even though she’s had aggressive moments with her. In her interview, Eden says her sister died of an overdose, but it wasn’t clear whether or not it was intentional. She says after her dad passed away, she realized she needed to clean up her act. Eden tells Lisa about being highly functioning when she drank. Lisa asks if she’s talked to Kim, and Eden says she has the behavior of a struggling alcoholic. In her interview, Lisa doesn’t understand why just being sober isn’t enough. While I agree it’s good to be involved with a program, especially early on when you have a whole lot of time that used to be taken up by drinking, I think Eden is being a little pushy. Eden thinks Kyle is an enabler, but Lisa says she’s stepped in many times. In her interview, Eden says Kyle is an enabler because she stays silent about the behavior. She tells Lisa that it was like watching her own family, and she’s concerned that Kyle will be standing where she is now – without a sister.

It looks very crowded at Erika’s venue. Kyle joins in the pre-show prayer, which contains words that Kyle has never heard in a prayer before. Erika is wearing thigh-high sparkly boots, and a silver and black leotard with more sparkles. She climbs a long ladder to the top where the stage is. In her interview, she talks about being concerned she’ll get blown off the mountain. She performs Painkiller, and then debuts Expensive.

LisaR visits Eden. Lisa describes Eden’s son, Tyler, as precocious in a good way. He is pretty cute. Dorit arrives next. She’s glad to get away from her own kids for a little while. Eden has never met PK, and wants suggestions for the perfect gift. She gives the girls some kind of aloe drink and makes smoothies. Dorit wants to know if she can put vodka in it. Lisa says she’s never done that, but has put a Xanax in one. Eden says she has too, and in her interview, Dorit questions a sober person taking pills. Lisa pulls out a bag of pills as big as my purse, most of which are supplements. I think.

After-party in Greece! Erika says the sun is rising, but who cares? They take pictures by the pool. Erika makes Kyle put on her swimsuit and they take some photos together.

Dorit has a problem with the party flowers and calls them tragic. She’s also despising the black curtain partition set up for the show. Boy George tries to calm her down.

LisaV calls Kyle, who just got back from Greece. Portia gets on the phone and asks Lisa about the horses. She wants to come to Lisa’s for a sleepover, and Lisa says now that Portia is out of diapers, she’s up for it. Although she can always borrow some from LisaR. Ha-ha!

Not being able to leave anything alone, Dorit tells Erika that her outfit is a step up from the T-shirt dress she wore last time. Dorit introduces the baby to Erika, and the baby is passed around like a football. Dorit claims there was water damage, and that’s why there’s a curtain up. LisaV thinks PK has something “up his little English sleeve” though. In her interview, Dorit says Lisa is too shrewd to pull something over on.

Kim arrives. She has a bum knee, and Eden helps her down the stairs, but Kim can’t even be bothered to say thanks. I’m not sure if Kim is in avoidance mode with Eden because she’s overbearing or because she’s right. Kim talks about Kyle going to Greece, and how much she missed the kids. She says now that she’s having a grandchild, she’s having the same anxieties she had with her own children. In her interview, Eden is concerned she’s going to end up reaching for a drink. Kim thinks Eden is being weird.

Everyone admires Kyle’s Gucci bag. Me too. She shows everybody the pictures from Greece.

Boy George is wearing an interesting tic-tac-toe themed suit with a matching hat. PK introduces Dorit, so she can introduce George. She gives a speech about how great a husband PK is, and wishes him a happy birthday. The curtain is pulled back, and George is ready to rock. Or whatever it is he does. He sings Karma Chameleon and changes to join the party.

In her interview, Eileen says she’ll have to keep an eye on Dorit since she lied so well. Eden makes her exit. Camille remarks how nice she is, and Kim makes a face. Kim tells Kyle about Eden asking her if her anxiety is an issue. Camille thinks she was just being concerned.

Dorit tells LisaV and George about going to Eden’s house, and how LisaR talked about putting Xanax in a smoothie. George wanders away, and Dorit continues to tell LisaV about the bag of pills LisaR pulled out. She says they were mostly supplements, but who knows? I’m sure we’ll be hearing about this until the end of the season, although it’s more interesting than Pantygate.

Next time, LisaR has a barbecue, Erika reads for The Young and the Restless, and a 1920s party happens.

The Haves and the Have Nots

David tells Veronica to put the gun down. She says, oh, look who’s being nice now. He tries to reason with her, but she’s out of her mind, so nothing works. She tells David to put his hands up. And then down. Veronica says she likes it, and tells him to get on his knees. She says he and Kathryn were having an affair, and makes up some fakakta story that she says she can convince a jury with. David says no one else needs to get hurt. She asks if he wants to hurt her, and he says no. She asks why the divorce then, and he says he was trying to protect her from herself, but I’m not sure where the logic is in that. Not that it matters. Veronica asks if he thinks she’s crazy, since he called her a delusional bitch. He says he shouldn’t have, and apologizes. She says it’s too late though, because he embarrassed her.

Veronica asks David if he believes she’d kill him and he says yes. He brings up the time she set the house on fire. She says she wasn’t trying to kill him, she just wanted him to burn a little. Whoa. David says he’s sorry, and that it’s between the two of them; she should let Kathryn go. David’s phone rings and Veronica wants to see who’s calling. He gives her the phone. It’s a missed call from a hotel. Of course Veronica thinks it’s a woman. She calls the number back. It’s Erica. Too bad. I wanted to see Veronica proven wrong. Erica says she was trying to reach David, and Veronica says she’s David’s wife. Erica tells Veronica that she’s a reporter, and wanted to know if David had a comment on a political poll. Veronica says he’s in the shower and intimates that they’d just had sex. Erica says she’d read she was getting a divorce. Veronica says they’re not, and Erica asks for her opinion. Veronica tells her to call on a business line.

Veronica tells David she doesn’t believe that was a reporter. He gets up, and she tells him to get back on his knees. He says he’s not doing it. Veronica tells him that Kathryn planned all of this, and she had nothing to do with it. He wants her to put the gun down, but she says he won’t listen if she does. He says he believes her. Kathryn says it’s not true, and asks if Veronica is going to shoot her too. Veronica doesn’t want to give up the gun, but David tells her to take the clip out, and she does. She gives him the gun. Kathryn says there’s still one in the chamber and he takes it out.

Jim comes in. He’s like, what the hell? Kathryn tells him Veronica did it, and tried to kill her. He asks who is that on his floor, and I laugh. David tells him it’s Jennifer. Kathryn repeats that Veronica did it. Jim has David give him the gun. Kathryn wants to call the police, but Jim doesn’t want to. She says they have to tell the authorities, and he says he is the authorities, and he’s going to let Veronica leave. Veronica says he’s not letting her do anything, because you can’t please her. He reminds her that the DA is dead, and if the Feds stick their nose into this, they’re going to open up a bigger can of worms. Veronica acts like she has nothing to do with it. Jim says maybe, but her hands have been on plenty of knives throughout the years. David tries to stop her, but Jim says let her go. What a mess.

Hearing my thoughts, Jim says they’ll need a clean up the likes of which they’ve never seen before. He asks if David can make the call. David has it, and goes elsewhere to do it. Kathryn can’t believe that Jim let Veronica leave. He says he has a lot on his mind. I’ll bet.

Poor Benny. He’s still on the porch, thinking Candace is coming. Hanna comes out, and tells him she packed his clothes. She gathers up Quincy Jr. and they get in the car.

Wyatt looks around his townhouse. He tells Jeffrey about the parties he’s going to have. Jeffrey tells him that he doesn’t want to relapse, and Wyatt tells him to chill. Jeffrey says he’s not going to watch him do this, and Wyatt says he’s not going to get high. Jeffrey says he’s tired of caring, and wants to leave, but Wyatt physically stops him. Jeffrey says he’s sick of everything, including Wyatt, and he’s done. Wyatt asks what he has to do to get him to stay, but he won’t do that. Jeffrey starts to walk out, and Wyatt says he’s scared. He says he can’t control himself, and if Jeffrey leaves, he’ll die. Jeffrey is the only one who’s ever loved him, and he resents him for it. He apologizes for treating Jeffrey badly, and begs him to stay, saying that he needs Jeffrey.

Jeffrey says this reminds him of his father, who’s willing to stay with his mother through all kinds of hell. He knows Wyatt loves him, and that’s why he has to go. He can’t help. He says he’ll text Wyatt the name of a group who can. They have people who’ll help him stay strong. He wants Wyatt to show that he wants to get better. Wyatt says he doesn’t need Jeffrey. Jeffrey says he does, even if he doesn’t want to. Wyatt tells him to get out.

Hanna stops by where Candace lives and Pearl calls her over. She says she thinks the police are after the man who went in the house and never came out. Hanna goes over to Candace, who tells her to go home. Hanna asks if she did something, and Candace tells her good-by. Hanna tells Candace that Benny is waiting for her in tears; she could at least call him and tell him she’s not coming. She asks if Candace did something to Quincy, and if he attacked her and she fought back. Hanna says if that’s the case, she needs to say something now. She says she can’t help Candace if she won’t help herself. She tells Candace that Benny will sit there all night and to call him.

Veronica gets back home. She looks pretty tired, and rightly so. Melissa comes downstairs and asks if she’s okay, noticing she’s bleeding. Veronica says she was mugged. She apologizes for missing the party, and asks if Jeffrey is there. Melissa says no, and Veronica says she has to find him, apologizing again. I have to note that Melissa is wearing a fabulous off-white crocheted dress.

Veronica calls Jeffrey. He asks what she wants, accusing her of calling the police, but she says that she didn’t. She tells him that it was Quincy’s sister, because anyone can follow a trail left by two idiots. She instructs Jeffrey to meet her with Candace at a hotel, calling Candace “that thing.” She says they have to meet her in thirty minutes, because he wants to stay out of prison. Or not. It’s his choice.

The forensics officer tells Justin that it’s not blood on the hot tub cover; it’s a marker. Justin is like, oh good. The officer says nobody noticed this? and points to some freshly dug earth. Justin says Candace was having yard work done, like that excuse would have sufficed. The officer calls someone over.

Justin tells Candace to get out of there now. Jeffrey calls Candace and tells her about meeting with Veronica. Candace says no way, but he says what choice do they have? She says not much, since the police just asked for shovels. She says Veronica has something up her sleeve, but agrees to meet. She says she has to talk to Benny first. Jeffrey says they have to trust Veronica, and she’d better be there in time. Candace says she’s on her way.

Mitch gets thrown into a cell next to War. He asks War how long he’s there for, and War says he’ll be out in a second. Mitch says don’t count on it with the drug charge. War wonders how Mitch found out, and tells Mitch that he has powerful connections. Mitch is like, whatever. War realizes Mitch set him up, and Mitch asks how he knows. War says he crossed the line this time, and Mitch says, let’s go to war. War says that’s his name. Not like him to make a funny, although he’s not smiling. War says okay, it’s on. Mitch tells him that he did it all on his own, and Candace didn’t set him up. He adds that War isn’t ever getting out to bother Candace again. War says when he gets out, it won’t matter who did it, and Mitch says he’s not getting out. War says the first thing he’s doing is cutting Candace’s throat. A guard comes in and tells War he’s free to go. Oops. Mitch asks for his phone call, but the guard walks away.

Hanna pulls into Benny’s driveway and tells Quincy Jr. to stay in the car. She asks Benny if Candace knew what time. Benny says she did, and Hanna says she has a place with two beds and a kitchen, not so nice, but clean. She tells him when she found out his father was married, she was devastated; she was sure he was the one. She wanted someone to love and help her, and he seemed smart and kind. He put her up in a nice apartment when he found out she was pregnant. In her eighth month, his wife found out and had her evicted, along with his sister. She had nowhere to go, and her parents wouldn’t let her come home. She kept moving and kept praying. God always found a way for them, and she tells Benny that He will now.

Benny says he’s sick of trying. He takes a step forward and gets dragged back every time. Hanna says some people do anything, get away with it and prosper, but people who have a calling on their lives are different. She says that Benny and his sister have a calling. When he asks what that means, Hanna tells him that God has a greater plan for them. She says Candace isn’t listening, and it’s why everything she touches falls apart. Benny says he just wants to be happy, and Hanna tells him to surrender to God. He says he doesn’t want to hear it right now, but he’s getting to the point that she is with Candace. He says he was doing well, and she did them wrong. Hanna says she’s not doing it on purpose, and he accuses her of defending Candace.

The police pull up and tell Benny that he has to leave. He says he’s waiting for his sister. Hanna tells him to come on, but he’s insistent. The officer says if he doesn’t leave, they’ll remove him. He gets belligerent, and the police drag him off the property. He struggles with them, and Hanna begs them not to hurt him. They throw him into the car, kicking and shouting. Quincy Jr. watches.

The officers uncover Quincy Sr. in Candace’s backyard. Justin slithers away.

Next time, Wyatt gets lost in the wrong neighborhood, Kathryn claims Veronica pushed her to insanity, and Candace and Jeffrey meet with Veronica

🚢 Ladies of London mention. Because it’s late, I’ll just say that there were fabulous sunglasses and a lot of talk about boundaries. And a good soundtrack, as usual.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Maxie is afraid that Nathan is being pressured, and Lulu tells her that it was all Nathan’s idea.

Nathan tells Dante he’s not nervous, but he’s blown away that everything was pulled together so quickly. The bride and her entourage arrive, but Spinelli blocks them from coming out of the elevator.

Julian tells Sam and Jason that he was the intended target, but had nothing to do with planting the bomb. Jason isn’t interested in Julian’s stories, but Julian says how about the truth? Sam asks him if the picture that Jason found looks familiar, and he asks where they got it. Jason explains about finding it at the pawn shop. Sam asks if it’s Julian and what it was doing there. Julian says everything that’s happened is about the family, and it’s time he told her everything.

Winston tells the boss that the plans are in motion. She pours tea.

There’s something wrong with Leo, and Olivia tells Ned she’ll meet him at GH.

Maxie wants out of the elevator. Spinelli wants to err on the side of caution, and tells Nathan to blindfold himself. Nathan says that they’re not traditional, but Spinelli points out how many times his plans have gone awry. Dante puts a napkin around Nathan’s eyes. Maxie and the bridal party walk through. Maxie says the venue looks spectacular, and Nathan says nothing is too good for her.

Andre and Jordan see one another. He asks what could be more romantic than a surprise wedding. Curtis joins them, saying he needs to speak to Jordan. He’s arranged for her to meet Buzz, but it might have to be tonight.

Winston tells the boss that Julian is refusing to kill his son-in-law, but he might change his mind when his own son pays the price.

Olivia runs into the hospital. She tells Sam that she got a call from Ned, and something happened with Leo.

Mac asks if Maxie is ready for a special delivery, and brings Georgie in. Maxie says she’s lucky to have Mac in her life. He says he’s the lucky one, and happy to be surrounded by all of his girls. Felicia takes a call, and Anna comes in with Emma.

Mac has one piece of advice for Nathan – hurt his little girl and he’ll hurt Nathan worse. He asks to walk Maxie down the aisle, and she says she wouldn’t have it otherwise. Felicia tells them that they have a problem.

Griff arrives and chats with Anna. She starts to tell him something, but Emma interrupts. Valentin comes in with Charlotte. She goes off with Emma.

Ned tells Olivia that Leo’s stomach is being pumped as a precaution. He found Leo alone at the babysitter’s with an open bottle of aspirin. The sitter says she only left the room for a second, and swears that she didn’t put the aspirin bottle there. Julian looks deep in thought.

Curtis tells Jordan that his contact only feels comfortable moving Buzz within a certain window. Jordan explains who Buzz is to Andre. She asks Curtis where the meeting is supposed to take place, but Curtis says he’ll fill her in on the way; the less everyone knows, the better. She agrees, and Curtis says he’ll let her know right away when it’s set up. Andre tells Jordan that letting Curtis keep a material witness from her, and meeting him somewhere in secret, is compromising her ethics and safety. He wants her to choose not to go with Curtis and stay with him. Somehow, I don’t think this has to do with Buzz, and Andre has some serious jealousy issues.

Felicia says Lucy’s flight has been redirected, and she won’t get in until midnight. Maxie is worried that they won’t have someone to marry them. A still blindfolded Nathan says that they have determined pushy people in the room, and they’ll find someone. I guess Griff can’t do it unless they’re Catholic? Maxie wonders if the universe is telling them something.  Mac tells Robin what happened, and that they’ll have to delay the wedding. Robin says that there’s someone in the room who can marry them – Spinelli.

Spinelli was ordained from the Church of Illuminating Wonders so he could marry Sam and Jason. I have to admit, I googled it to see if it was real, but there’s no such church. He’s hesitant because of his past with the bride, but Maxie says she’d love for him to officiate. He says marry her, he shall. Griff asks Anna what she wanted to tell him, but she tells him that they’ll talk after the ceremony.

Valentin suggests Emma and Charlotte sign the registry. Lulu tries to get him to leave, but he says he’s not going anywhere. She says it’s Maxie’s day and she’s not fighting with him, but he’s not welcome there. Nina pops out, saying yes, he is, and tells them to table the conversation since the wedding is starting. Lulu sits, and Nina asks Valentin what’s up. He says that Lulu wants to tell Charlotte that she’s her mother. Nina says it’s too soon, and if Lulu really cared about Charlotte’s welfare, she’d wait.

Anna tells Valentin that she’s closer than he thinks. She says he’ll have to pay the consequences when she finds out the truth. He remarks that not everyone pays for what they’ve done, and I think he’s talking about her.

Julian ponders as Olivia discusses Leo with the others. She wonders how she could trust some stranger to care for her son. Julian says she’s not to blame for what happened. The doctor comes out.

Jordan tells Andre that it could mean the difference between putting the right or wrong person away. Andre says he doesn’t want her to trust the wrong person – Curtis of all people.

The ceremony starts with Emma and Georgie as flower girls. Lulu comes next. She’s the only attendant? I guess so, because here come Maxie and Mac. Needless to say, Maxie’s gown is gorgeous. Off the shoulder, lacy, and a full skirt, but not too long of a train.

For someone who was unprepared, Spinelli certainly does well. He does the objection thing and everyone laughs, but Obrecht runs in, saying the mother of the groom objects most strenuously, making me think she might be a match for Spinelli. I always forget how good Kathleen Gati is in this role, and wish they’d use her more.

Nathan asks what she’s doing, and she says she’s the wounded party. Maxie says she thought Obrecht was on board with them getting married, but Obrecht is appalled that she was notified via text message. Everyone else was too, but she says she’s the groom’s mother and was in surgery all day. Obviously, her attendance means nothing to her son. Nathan says he just got distracted. She says no one even noticed she was missing. Nathan says he’s glad she’s here, and Maxie says she is too, addressing her as h Schwiegermutter, mother-in-law in German. This chokes Obrecht up, and Nathan takes her to a seat of honor in the front.

The doctor says Leo will be fine. They didn’t detect anything in his system, but want to keep him overnight for observation. Olivia and Ned go in to see the non-baby in the crib. (Seriously, this is an empty crib with a bunched up blanket in it, and they’re not fooling anyone.) Julian stands in the doorway. Ned is gracious enough to ask if he wants a moment, and Julian thanks him for saving Leo. He says he’s glad that Ned is there in case anything happens to him, and to take care of Olivia, who’s a wonderful mother, and he leaves.

Julian tells Sam and Jason that Leo will be fine. Sam asks why he’s leaving, and Jason asks what he was going to tell them about the truth. Julian says it isn’t important right now. He says things have changed in the various organizations. Families were off limits, but are now considered fair game. He’s concerned that Danny and Sam might be targeted. He wishes he could tell them more, but has to go. Jason asks if Sam buys it, and she says no.

Ned says Leo is going to be fine, but Olivia is still freaked out. He says nothing is more terrifying than when your child is in danger, not that Leo is his child. Olivia says she can’t do anything about Julian being his biological father, but she’s hoping that Ned will be the father figure in Leo’s life, if he’s up for it. Ned says he thinks he is, and they kiss.

Wedding back in motion. Jordan gets a text and has to go. Andre tries to get her to stay, but that’s a no. Impromptu wedding means impromptu vows, and Spinelli hands the wedding over to Nathan and Maxie. Nathan talks about being mad at the world when he met Maxie – we flash back to that – and she opened his heart again to happiness and love. Even in tough times, she found a way to be positive. Maxie says even though she didn’t know she needed one, a hero showed up at her door. He helped her recognize that she had the strength to save herself. We see a bunch of flashbacks from their early relationship and how it progressed, while they do their vows in a voice over. They kiss, and Anna remembers looking at her broken watch.

In her flash back, Valentin comes up behind Anna and says something in French. She tells him to stop. At the wedding, everyone is applauding. Valentin turns to look at Anna, who looks panicked.

At the reception, Spinelli announces the bride and groom. I never knew that Maxie’s name was Mariah Maximillia. Everyone demands a kiss, and the couple obliges. Robin asks Spinelli if he’s cool, and he says he’s sincerely happy. He wonders where Jason and Sam are.

Jason suggests that Sam back off for a while. He says Dr. Lee told her to take it easy months ago. They kiss in the elevator.

Olivia tells Ned that Julian might have something to say about it, but Ned isn’t so sure. He says Julian was surprisingly understanding, and seemed almost grateful to him. Olivia says that Julian does seem to love his children. Ned says it seemed like something else was on his mind. Olivia wonders what that could be.

Julian goes to the boss’s new location. I have no clue what it is, but it has Asian décor. A restaurant? A tea house? Who knows. We see the boss’s high heels and that she’s dressed in red. She says she can spare a moment or two. It’s Tonya Walker…I mean, Olivia Jerome. My first thought is, oh great, we have two Olivias now, and my next thought is, dammit! I wanted it to be Helena.

Tomorrow, Olivia J. says she’ll get her revenge, Charlotte disappears, and Anna smacks Valentin across the face. He probably likes it.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

I grow weary of these women. Except for LVP, who can do no wrong.

My hat’s off to Erika. She’s leaving at 6 a.m. to do her video shoot for Expensive. She tells us that people are usually offended for her videos and she just won an award for that. Anyone who’s offended by her must not have seen many videos. There’s a pillow fight with money flying around everywhere. LisaR, who comes by for a visit with Eileen, says it’s like cotton candy meets Vegas meets Miami. I thought it was more like teenage girl’s bedroom meets money meets sexy lingerie.

When the shoot is done, Erika shows Lisa and Eileen around the studio. Eileen is thinking since she gave Erica a part in her show, maybe Erika should return the favor, and shows us her jazz hands.

Here it comes. Dorit is showing PK her new dress and brings up Pantygate, and how Eileen told her she talks too much. PK suggests she should have called Uber broomstick for Eileen, but agrees that Dorit takes a while to tell a story. Ohhh, the dress is nice. It’s an LBD.

Eileen and LisaR vogue on the set after Erika leaves to change.

Kyle and Mauricio meet with LisaV and Ken at one of Mauricio’s properties. He’s branched off on his own, and is one of the top agents in the business, having sold the Playboy mansion for $200 million. Lisa thinks he’s going to make a sh*tload of money on the property. Kyle claims she was just as happy when they were in a two-bedroom apartment with the kids, but she’s glad she doesn’t have to stress going to the mailbox every day. I totally identify. She adds that Mauricio having his own company means being his own boss, so there are definitely compromises, but she understands that everything is for the family and looks at the big picture.

Kyle, LisaV, and company go to lunch. Portia has come along and makes funny pictures of Lisa with some program on her phone.

LisaR and Eden go shopping. Lisa tells Eden about Kim acting idiotic when she tried to be nice to her on game night. Eden doesn’t think it’s okay how Kim vomited up so much unproductive talk. Lisa says she’s torn, but doesn’t reference that to anything.

Kyle discusses the same thing at lunch, and we flash back to the Amsterdam dinner, which we will never, ever be allowed to forget. Kyle says Kim and LisaR just don’t like each other, and that LisaR was inappropriate in bringing up Kim’s arrest. In her interview, Kyle says she doesn’t want to talk about it anymore, yet she’s still talking about it. LisaV uses the f-word in front of Portia, but it’s pretty funny when she realizes.

Eden tells LisaR that she felt no connection with Kyle, but Lisa thinks Kyle was just distracted. In her interview, Eden says there’s something there that she’s going to figure out. Lisa asks what she should do with the Kim stuff. Eden says it would be different if Kim reached out, and that Kim might be sober, but that’s not the issue. Lisa thinks she’s “mostly sober.” Eden wonders what she can do. Lisa thinks that Eden being another sober woman might help Kim get through, and calls Kyle an enabler. Eden says she’s all about tough love. She tells Lisa about her sister calling her up on the New Year’s Eve before she died, and how Eden wouldn’t go out with her. Lisa says Kyle is afraid to turn her back on Kim because she might die. In her interview, Eden explains how the disease impacts the entire family. She thinks if she understands Kyle, she can help Kim. Lisa says all she’s done is try to help, yet she comes out as looking like a mean bitch. Well…

Erika and her creative director are packing for a gay festival she’s performing at in Mykonos, Greece. Kyle is coming along since she’s the only one who can get away. The director says they’ll have eight to ten trunks. That’s a lot of costume changes.

Eden meets Kyle and LisaR for lunch. Kyle lets Eden try on her mother’s wedding ring, which is 10½ karats. Kyle explains that her mom passed away a while ago. Eden asks if the drinking problem in her family was passed down. Kyle asks if it always has to come from someone, and in her interview, thinks Eden should back off. Eden tells her that Kim reminds her of her own sister. She says Kim is sad and her energy is heavy. Kyle says she’s sober, and Eden asks if she’s doing a program. Kyle makes some kind of vague noises and obviously doesn’t want to talk about it. Eden says it’s hard for her to watch someone who could be struggling. In her interview, she says everyone tried to cover up her sister’s illness and shove it under the rug. Lisa says they all experienced the ripple effect of Kim. In her interview, she hopes the conversation is a step toward healing, but realizes it could backfire.

Harrison! LisaV and Ken are going to meet Max and the adoption lawyer who facilitated the process when they got him from foster care, since he’s expressed an interest in finding his birth parents. Lisa thinks it will be emotional for all of them. Giggy! Lisa says they tried to adopt more children in England, but were told they were too old. She was 35. Pandora wasn’t keen on Max looking for his birth parents, which is why she’s not with them. We flash back to her being bummed when Lisa mentions the possibility. Max looks through the folder, and Lisa gets emotional.

Lisa takes a moment, and when she comes back, she talks about giving Max to Pandora when they brought him home, and how he was always “her” baby. She says they always got along, and there was never any competition. Lisa sees that Max’s birth father played the guitar, and talks about how Max picked it up at 14 and just knew how to play. Ken suggests getting a detective to deal with the searching end of it.

Kyle leaves for the trip with Erika. Erika is starting the day by popping some champagne, although I have no idea what time it is in Greece. The director tells her she’ll be performing at 3 a.m. She’ll also be performing for 30,000 people. Kyle arrives, and Erika shows her around. It’s not my style – everything is way too white and sterile looking – but it’s beautiful. Just don’t touch anything. In her interview, Erika says she’s stayed away from women because they tend to be judgmental, but Kyle isn’t like that.

Dorit tells us that she doesn’t like tension and conflict. She calls Eileen, who obviously wasn’t expecting the call. Dorit says it was tense the other night, and asks if she’d like to meet for a girls’ chat. She’s also going to call LisaR. At least Lisa doesn’t wait in stunned silence for ten minutes after hearing Dorit’s voice. Dorit tells her that a few drinks were coupled with misunderstanding, and invites her to the lunch with Eileen. In her interview, Dorit says she has reservations, but she’s prepared for whatever happens.

Kyle has the best sunglasses! Erika practices for the show. In her interview, Kyle says they lead very different lives. She’s still making breakfast for the kids in the morning, while Erika gets lifted by a bunch of naked, hunky guys. She exaggerates; they’re only half naked. The creative director tells them that the lift still needs to be perfected, and directs the guys to toss Erika in the pool.

Dorit meets the girls for lunch. She says it got escalated and heated the other night, and hopes they can resolve it, but if not, they tried. Dorit says it’s no excuse, but she did have a few drinks that night. She says she appreciates their input about Pantygate, but they seem to want to resuscitate it, even when Erika thought it was over. She wants to understand why it keeps being brought up. She says she and Erika are fine with it. Eileen says she understands where Dorit is coming from, and is trying to see it from Dorit’s point of view. She doesn’t remember it happening that way, but if Dorit feels that she was being aggressive, she apologizes.

Dorit brings up the text message from LisaR. In her interview, Lisa claims that she’s always right. Oh, LisaR, how misguided you are, says Dr. Seuss. Eileen suggests hitting the reset button. She says she didn’t mean to put Dorit in the hot seat or make her feel uncomfortable, and would like a fresh start. In her interview, Dorit says she’s not going to forget, but she’s hopeful. She also admits that maybe she talks too much.

Next time, Boy George performs, Erika performs, and Eden wants to talk to Kim.

The Haves and the Have Nots

David tells Veronica to get off of him. She says Kathryn is trying to kill her. Kathryn turns the tables, and says it’s the other way around. Veronica screeches that David has to believe her, but he backs away a little. Kathryn says she’s lying and that she did this, pointing out her injury. She says Veronica shot Jennifer and then tried to kill her. Kathryn wants David to call the police, but he says he’s not doing anything until he understands what went on. Kathryn says if he doesn’t call, she will. Veronica says he knows her. He says yes, he does, and backs away some more. Veronica moves forward, and David falls backward onto the couch. He sees Jennifer’s body.

David is like, wth? and Veronica says that Kathryn killed Jennifer. Kathryn tells him again that Veronica killed her. Veronica tells David to quit taking her pulse, and that it’s a crime scene, so he shouldn’t be in the middle of it. Kathryn tells him that Veronica knew Jennifer was after him, and shot her. He says it’s like Maggie Day. Veronica says that was a casualty of war. Kathryn asks what happened and if David liked her too. She tells David that he has to protect her, and to call the police now. Veronica says she didn’t do this.

Jim calls David, saying he’s out of jail and Lloyd is picking him up. David says he found Kathryn, but to tell Lloyd to drop him in front of the house and not to come inside. He says it’s too sensitive to discuss over the phone. Jim asks if Kathryn is okay, and David says somewhat. Jim is like wtf? and David tells him that Veronica and Kathryn are pointing fingers at one another, and to get there asap.

David hangs up, and Kathryn says he needs to call the police. David says they’re going to wait for Jim. Veronica wants to leave, but David tells her no. He says no one is going anywhere until Jim gets there. Kathryn asks if he’s going to let her bleed to death, and he points out that even he can tell it’s a flesh wound. He repeats that everything is going to wait until Jim gets there.

Erica calls Candace, but she says she’s in the middle of something. Erica wants to give her a David update, but Candace says they’ll talk later. Erica tells her that War is getting out of jail soon, and advises her not to stay at her house. Candace says the police are there and have a search warrant. She asks how Erica knew about War. Erica says one of her targets knows the DA, and the DA told him just now. We know this is a lie, because Jennifer has been lying dead in the Cryer mansion for a while. Like since last season. Candace asks when he’s getting out, but Erica doesn’t know. Candace tells her that the bank caught the forgery, and if she doesn’t have the money by 5 o’clock, the bank is going to foreclose. She wants the name of whoever prepared the documents. Erica offers her money, but doesn’t have enough. Erica warns her that War thinks Candace set him up, but Candace says Mitch is the one who did it. Erica says it’s crazy, and that maybe she could get the money from David. Candace says she has to work him slowly or he’ll run. He can’t think she’s taking advantage of him. She explains how to present the story.

Candace gets into her car and Oscar gets in the passenger seat. She says she’s in this mess because of him and get out. He tells her he has a mark who can make them a lot of money, and to call him. She tells him she’s going to scream and he gets out. He tells her they’re running out of time and leaves. She tells herself that she does need the money.

The cops drill open Candace’s safe. Why didn’t they just ask her for the combination? She has about 20k in cash and a lot of photos of Jim in compromising positions. The officers bag the evidence.

Mitch goes to Benny’s house. Benny apologizes, and asks what happened to the truck. Mitch says it’s the only thing that was his, and now it’s all bent up. He thinks what’s happening isn’t right, and Benny agrees. Mitch says it is what it is, and they had something for a minute. Benny adds that they tried. Mitch asks if Benny is all right, and Benny insists he is. He asks why Benny is sitting outside, and Benny says Candace is supposed to bring him some money. Mitch suggests they get Benny’s truck out of the tow yard, but Benny says the bank is taking everything, even what he had before he got the tow yard. The bank told him if he tries to take his own truck, he’ll be arrested. Candace put everything in the mortgage. Mitch says screw everything, and they should just go get the truck. Benny says how, and Mitch tells him how he got his own truck out. Benny says the cops are probably all over the place, and Mitch apologizes for losing it. Benny says he’s getting there too.

Mitch says Candace needed the money for War, but he took care of it. They talk about how neither one of them is “about that life.” Mitch says he can’t do what he’s thinking. He says Benny doesn’t want the money; they’ll come after him and his folks. Benny says, so he just loses everything. Mitch says they’ve been there before, but Benny says he’s getting old. He had it, and she stole it. Mitch says it was War, and asks if Benny has called Candace, but Benny says he wants her to come on her own, and he doesn’t want to hear her excuses.

A police car pulls up. Benny says he can’t bail Mitch out. Two officers approach and ask for Mitch. They tell him he’s under arrest and cuff him. One officer goes for the truck and the other reads him his rights. How come Mitch doesn’t just call his family? I know he wants to find his own way and all, but it wouldn’t be the first time he’s called them in a pinch.

Jeffrey calls Candace. She asks if he spoke to Justin and he says no. She tells him what will happen to him if he goes to prison, and he tells her not to threaten him. She says she isn’t; she’s just informing him. She tells him to call Justin on a three-way call, because she wants to talk to him. Justin answers, and says Jeffrey had better tell “that bitch” that nothing happened between them. There’s silence, and Candace asks if Jeffrey heard Justin. Justin asks who it is, and she says the bitch who he didn’t want knowing anything. Justin gets agitated, and Jeffrey tells him not to pay attention to Candace, and tells Candace to apologize. She does, and Jeffrey says they need his help. Justin says he’ll do it for Jeffrey. When Justin hangs up, Candace tells Jeffrey that they have him. Jeffrey asks what she said to Justin, and she says, what she had to. Jeffrey says she’s not helping and they’re doing it his way.

Wyatt comes out of his hospital room fully dressed. Jeffrey tells him that the doctor hasn’t discharged him, and he isn’t leaving. Wyatt says he hears that, and walks out.

Justin putters around the kitchen, pretending to look for evidence. He takes something out of a drawer that looks like an EpiPen. It is a pen. A fat, red, felt tip. He makes some marks on the hot tub cover and says he thinks they have something, and that a forensics team should look at the hot tub. He has the other officers help him move the cover. I have no idea what’s in his head.

Candace gets to her house and Jeffrey comes out. Candace apologizes for what she said, and he asks what she wants. She says she needs his help, and he says that’s what he was trying to do. He tells her that he’s bought her time, but eventually, they’ll check the backyard. He tells her to get out of there, and tell Jeffrey to go somewhere he can’t be found. She says he likes Jeffrey, and Justin says not like that; he’s a friend. She tells him there’s money she needs, but he says they already went through the safe, and the money has been packed as evidence. He tells her the compromising photos of Jim are gone too. She asks if he can get them, but he says no, and that she should really go. She asks if he’ll call. He says he’s already in too deep and doesn’t know why. She says because of Jeffrey, and it’s okay if he likes him. Justin says he has to go.

Benny is still sitting outside. Hanna tells him he needs to pack, but he insists that Candace is coming. Hanna brings out a chair and sits next to him. He says he can wait by himself. She asks why he doesn’t wait inside, and he says that every five minutes she’ll be telling him to pack. She says it’s a nice house and she’s glad Candace gave it to him along with the tow yard. It shows she can still care about someone and there’s hope for her yet. Benny says that’s not exactly positive. Hanna says he’s mad because she’s right. He suggests she go in, and Hanna says she’s taking Quincy Jr. to the hotel. She says even if Candace comes, they still have to leave. She tells Benny she’ll be at the Fountain Drop Hotel. Benny insists Candance will bring money for something better. Hanna doesn’t want Quincy Jr. to see the sheriff put them out. She tells Benny she loves him and loves the way he loves his sister, but she’s not coming. She goes inside, taking the chair with her. Benny stares into the distance.

David tends to Kathryn’s wound. Veronica says David used to be like that with her, tender and caring. Kathryn says she doesn’t know how he could have loved her. David tells her don’t, and Veronica says he takes Kathryn’s side even after Kathryn tried to kill her. David tells her to shut up. Kathryn says that Veronica pushed him to another woman. Veronica says she wishes she could get out, but David is waiting for the boss man to tell him what to do, and starts talking like a plantation slave. Kathryn says she sees why David filed for divorce. Veronica tells her to stay out of it. She says she’s not the kind of enemy Kathryn wants to make. Kathryn says that’s a change of pace, since just before, Veronica was trying to kill her. Veronica says if she was trying to kill her, then she’s the same person. Kathryn says she can’t bait her, but Veronica says she’ll continue to do it in court, and not to take her down this path. She suddenly decides that the three of them – Kathryn, Jim and David – planned this, and David tells her that not everything is a conspiracy. Kathryn says she sees what David means, referring to Veronica being psychotic. David says she’s witnessing it firsthand, but don’t. Veronica starts in about how David can’t make a move without Jim, and does the slave thing again. She says she’s sick of it. David says there’s a dead body here, and she says she doesn’t give a damn. Kathryn says that’s because she did it, and tells David that they have to call an ambulance.

Kathryn realizes that the gun is next to Veronica. David sees it too, and makes a move for it, but Veronica gets it first.

Next time, Wyatt wants Jeffrey to stay, War threatens to cut Candace’s throat, and Hanna approaches Candace about Quincy.

✈  Ladies of London acknowledgement. They’re still in Scotland, with the men joining them for a final night. This leaves me feeling badly for Joan Collins Sophie, since she’s going through a nasty divorce. The highlights were a whiskey tasting where the ladies thought the whiskeys (which were no doubt very aged and expensive) tasted like everything from “cat butt” to “bad breath,” along with a huge production over the serving of haggis. This is another thing that didn’t go over big with any of the women, although a few were good sports. The way I feel is, if you’re there and it’s traditional, shut up and just try it. I was the only one, along with the chaperone, who ate whatever was put in front of me on a trip to Russia when I was in high school.

I was surprised when Julie said she didn’t eat meat. I knew Juliet was a vegetarian, and I get their names mixed up already, so this doesn’t help. Julie made a toast that Marissa read way too much into in her interview. My take was that Julie was saying that when she came to town, she was a wimp, but seeing how strong Caroline #1 is, made her grow in her own strength. Marissa wondered what the underlying meaning was, and if it was some kind of threat. She hasn’t exactly been at the top of her game though, and kept repeating that she’s tired and can’t do it – whatever it is – until Caroline #1 finally paid attention to her. They also played a bizarre balloon game, which Caroline #2 assured us would be hysterical. I wouldn’t go that far, but it was pretty funny to see a bunch of adult women (and one man – ?), wearing formal dress, trying to break a balloon by pushing it with their body against their team mate’s behind. Several of the ladies ended up on the floor laughing. Maybe the whiskey wasn’t so bad after all.

Next time, Jacqueline Onassis Sophie rocks some amazing sunglasses!

I like this show a lot, and have to admit, I’m going to miss Caroline #1 when she goes to Dubai. I’m so hoping for a spin-off show.

🍸 Quickie note about Vanderpump Rules, since I watch all of these shows like ten times. Not watch watch, but you know, it’s on in the background. After Lala’s barely there apology for skipping out on Ariana’s birthday, there was that interview where Tom claimed he was good as far as Lala was concerned – maybe forever – meaning he was not good, and she could disappear off the planet, and Ariana was drying glasses like she might kill someone. But then later, she doesn’t seem to care so much. I’m wondering if the two of them are sort of like prosecuting attorneys. They know they’re wrong, but they just can’t admit it.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Carly and Sonny get busy. But it’s all in her head. Bobbie welcomes her back to the world, and Nell says she’s a woman in love.

Diane tells Sonny that the trial has been moved up and the DA wants his head on a platter. She asks him why he’s smiling, and my guess is it’s the same reason Carly is. He tells her Jason is on the case.

Jason and Curtis find the underground office, but it’s been abandoned.

Sam goes to Ava’s place to find Julian.

Alexis starts to tell Julian about what happened at the roadhouse. At first, Julian thinks she’s talking about the accident, but she says she killed him. Julian thinks she’s hallucinating, but she tells him that she killed Tom Baker.

Franco brings up the picture of Alexis sitting with Tom at the dive bar on his phone, pointing out her drunken condition to Scotty. Scotty tells him he should know what it’s like to be judged. Franco says she’s been hiding her drinking; maybe she’s hiding something else.

Sam tells Ava it doesn’t look like Julian is there, and asks where he’s staying.

Alexis tells Julian she can’t do this. She wants to leave, but he asks if she was drunk. He says drinking got her into this, but it’s not going to get her out. Alexis asks if he thinks he can, and he says like it or not, he’s trying to help her. She says she doesn’t like it, or him, and doesn’t want his help. He asks if she wants to keep racking up bodies and victims.

Bobbie is surprised, and Nell says sorry to give anything away, but she got excited. Carly says nothing is definite, but she and Sonny are taking it day by day. Bobbie says it sounds like she’s leaning in his direction, but Sonny needs to hear her concerns and respect them. Carly says he’d never betray her trust again.

Sonny tells Diane that the evidence Jason has might confuse the issue – it points to Julian. Diane thinks that’s weird, but has confidence in Jason’s abilities. She says the DA is hungry to bring Sonny down, and they need to err on the side of caution. Let Jason do his work and they’ll do theirs.

Curtis and Jason go through whatever is left in the office. Curtis finds a foo dog stamped on the bottom with the “reincarnation” characters. The door closes as they’re talking, and smoke starts pouring out of the vent. Curtis left his wallet in the car, and is having a hard time popping the door open with what he’s got to work with.

Sam suggests she show Ava pictures from the shower, unless Ava wants to tell her what she wants to know. Ava says let’s get it over with, and asks what she wants. Sam says she and Jason have uncovered information about Morgan’s death, and there’s more to it than anyone knows. Ava drops her glass and it shatters.

Diane tries to go through questions with Sonny, but he’s not paying attention. She says that Max claimed Olivia sent over some food, and suggests they take a pasta break. Diane talks about Morgan while they eat. She says he wouldn’t want Sonny convicted for something he didn’t do.

Bobbie tells Carly that she’s thrilled, but it might not be good news for Nell, since Carly might start picking out her own clothes. We flash back to Bobbie grilling Nell about being in the bedroom. She says on the bright side, Nell might have more time to herself. Bobbie leaves, and Carly tells Nell that she’ll always need her. Nell suggests Carly take some time to put the family back together, and says maybe she wants to go get Josslyn, so they can discuss everything on the plane ride back from Australia. Carly agrees that she should talk to her about it before she gets home, and asks Nell to book her a ticket. This is possibly the stupidest idea anyone has ever come up with on this show. Why would Carly go all the way to Australia just to talk to Josslyn on the way back? Can’t she just pick Josslyn up from the airport and take her to lunch? I think that’s actually preferable to being a captive audience for twenty hours on an airplane. Carly tells Nell to take a break and spend some time with her secret guy.

Scotty says nothing amounts to anything, but Franco disagrees. Scotty says it’s sad, but big deal. Franco wonders why Alexis would come back to where her drinking buddy was stabbed. Scotty suggests it was the lawyer in her, but Franco says maybe she came back to the scene of the crime. Scotty says he’s throwing spaghetti against the wall to see if it sticks. Ha-ha! I love these two together, and have the feeling they improv a lot. Franco leaves to get answers.

Julian gives Alexis some water. She tells him that the night of Sam’s shower, the night he said he was moving in, she left Ava’s to have one more night of freedom. She wanted to be alone, so she went to the dive bar. Tom was there. It wasn’t the first time she’d met him, but she hadn’t known he raped Elizabeth before. He came onto her, and she told him to leave her alone. He wouldn’t, so she left, and he followed her. She says she remembers being in an alley and screaming. Tom had a knife, and she got it away from him. We see her cut him and tell him he messed with the wrong woman. I’m still not totally convinced she killed him though.

Sam tells Ava, sorry, she knows Morgan is a sensitive subject. Ava flashes back to switching his drugs with the placebo. She tells Sam that if the DA thought she could help, she would have been questioned. Sam suggests that Julian, and maybe Ava, might have had something to do with it.

Scotty calls Franco, telling him about a fire in the Asian Quarter. Franco says there must be ambulances to chase, and Scotty says he’ll see him at the MetroCourt later.

Julian tells Alexis that he would have noticed something was off, but Alexis says she doesn’t remember anything. Obviously, she called a car and got back home, but she doesn’t recall anything else. She says the police are looking at Franco, and Julian says that’s good – unless he has an alibi. Alexis says all she knows is that she was swinging at Tom. Julian suggests she might not have killed him, and it still might have been Franco. With soap timing, Franco knocks at the door.

Nell tells Carly the situation is complicated. Carly says she thought it might be long distance, but Nell says that would be simple in comparison; he’s otherwise engaged. Carly tells her to be careful. She says men who are unavailable tend to stay that way, but Nell says she’s tough, and if anyone is getting hurt, it won’t be her.

Diane is going into a pasta coma, and suggests that she and Sonny quit for the day. She asks him if he has any insight as to what to expect from Carly. He says they’re fine, and Carly will be supportive.

Nell makes plane reservations for Carly to pick up Josslyn. Bobbie asks if she’s leaving, and Nell explains. Bobbie says that Nell has a talent for figuring out Carly’s needs. Nell says her training in teaching has helped her understand people, although some people are easier to understand than others. She suggests she and Bobbie have it out, since she doesn’t get why Bobbie doesn’t like her. Bobbie says she thought Nell would never ask.

Carly visits Sonny, and he tells her about the meeting with Diane. The strategy is focusing on the bi-polar issue and using it as an explanation for what Sonny said at the funeral. Sonny doesn’t like it, but thinks that’s the way to go. Carly agrees. He appreciates her standing by him, and she says where else would she be? She tells him about going to get Josslyn and explaining their getting back together. She says she’ll be back for the trial, but if he needs anything, call Nell. Carly says she thinks Nell has been seeing a married guy.

Bobbie says she never said that she didn’t like Nell, and Nell says she didn’t have to. She asks why Bobbie doesn’t talk to Carly, instead of making passive-aggressive comments in front of her. Bobbie says Carly has done fine without Nell, and doesn’t need her jumping into business where she doesn’t belong. Nell asks what she’s ever done to Bobbie’s family, except giving up a kidney when she was too young to object. Oh, snap! She says Carly offered her a job, and she’s never begged, borrowed, or stolen. She says she earned her spot, and she didn’t have to do it on her back like Bobbie, who has no right to judge her. Bobbie says the real Nell just showed up and now they can talk. I hate to say it, especially knowing Bobbie is ultimately right, but Nell does have a point.

The fire is announced on the dive bar TV, as Curtis and Jason walk in coughing. Curtis says they’re lucky to be alive. He says it’s a wonder that Winston didn’t have a sniper on the roof. He tells Jason it’s all for naught, but Jason gives him the picture he found. Curtis says it’s nothing he can take to Jordan. Jason says they’re not involved with the cops, but Curtis says the hell they ain’t.

Sam thinks Ava is Winston’s boss. She suggests that Ava had to get rid of Julian and Sonny somehow, but didn’t count on Morgan getting in the car. Ava starts laughing. I honestly don’t see Ava as being that organized. It’s not like she was on top of things when she was gun running.

Franco tells Alexis they need to talk about Tom Baker, but she pretends not to know who that is. He wants her to tell the cops he wasn’t with Tom the night Tom was killed. Alexis insists she doesn’t know who Tom is, but Franco shows her the picture and says it shows otherwise. He says it looks like it was a humdinger of a night, but apparently ended badly for Tom. He tells her that he’s having a hard time getting the cops to believe him, and he hoped that she’d be principled enough to come to his defense. She insists the picture is photoshopped, and he says the only way it could be more her is if she was wearing a nametag. She tells him to get out.

Ava says Sam is being ridiculous, and thanks her for the laugh. She tells Sam to never change, since she’s priceless. Sam leaves, and Ava wonders what Julian has gotten himself into this time.

Jason says the best case is Buzz leads the cops to Winston, but he might get killed first. Curtis says the police can protect him, but Jason reminds him of how easy it is to get a cop on payroll.

Sonny asks Carly about Nell’s married boyfriend. Carly says she doesn’t know it for a fact, but he wasn’t around on the holidays, so it sounds sketchy. She has to pack, and Sonny says he already misses her. They kiss and Carly is all happy.

Bobbie tells Nell that she won’t be shamed about finding a way to survive. She says at first, she wasn’t sure about Nell, and thought maybe she was just resentful, but now she feels she’s right on the money; Nell has obviously studied the family, including her. Nell says she only cares about her job, and Bobbie says it sure isn’t the one Carly gave her. She tells Nell to watch it, since she’ll be keeping an eye on her. Sonny calls Nell and says they have to talk.

Curtis tells Jason that these people are dangerous, have an agenda, and know they’re on to them. He thinks Jordan should be brought in. Sam joins them. Curtis leaves without saying anything. Sam asks what’s up with him and why Jason smells like a bonfire. She asks if they were in the Asian Quarter. Jason tells her that they were, and asks if she found anything at Ava’s. Sam says that Julian moved out. She doesn’t think Ava is the woman they’re looking for, but she’s definitely hiding something.

Alexis tells Julian that she’s done, but Julian says far from it.

Ava leaves a message for Julian telling him about Sam’s visit. She says whatever he’s involved in, it stinks and is about to cave in.

Julian tells Alexis that Franco is just fishing, and all it proves is that she crossed paths with Tom. He says she never gave up on a client, and she’s not giving up on herself. But she has to be sober to do this.

Carly comes to the MetroCourt and apologizes for blowing off lunch with Bobbie. She asks Bobbie to keep an eye on Sonny and Michael while she’s gone. When Carly leaves, Bobbie says she’ll take care of the family and take out the trash too.

Sonny tells Nell that they need to come to a new understanding.

Tomorrow, Sonny wants to know what Nell told Carly, Sam thinks she knows who is in the picture that Jason brought back, Valentin and Nina have good news for Charlotte, and there’s also news about Claudette.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

The lunch at Camille’s continues. Eileen tries to drag LisaV into the altercation with Dorit, even though Lisa is nowhere around. Dorit tells the ladies she has no idea whatever the past is with them and Lisa. In her interview, Eileen thinks that perhaps Lisa is manipulating the situation, because if someone disagrees with her, that has to be the answer. Dorit feels like she’s in the hot seat, and every time she has a conversation with Eileen, there’s a dig. Eileen says she can hold her own and she’s the one who gave Erika a pair of panties. Dorit says she was making light of something, but feels like the rest of them added a dimension that wasn’t there. In her interview, Camille feels like something is going on, but doesn’t know what. Well, she has been a bit out of the loop. Erika says they were just being concerned and protective. Eileen feels like nothing has been resolved; it’s only been made worse, and now she’s a villain in Dorit’s mind. No, Eileen, you’re a villain because in your desperation for a storyline, you’re dragging everyone else’s out way too long.

Kim meets with Kyle, surprising me by wearing curlers, because I didn’t know women still used them. Kim’s daughter, Brook, is having a baby, and the shower is being held at Kyle’s. Kyle isn’t thrilled with the word “grandma,” even though Kim is excited about it. In her interview, Kim says the old stuff is the old stuff, and she’s leaving it behind. We’ll see. Kyle discovers one of those heavy tag things still attached to Kim’s  dress, making us all wonder if she stole it. I have to add that she does look a lot better than she did the last time we saw her.

LisaR meets with Eden, who gives her a crystal to get rid of toxicity. Good luck with that. I doubt there’s a crystal big enough for this group. In her interview, Lisa says that she and Eden have a lot in common and connected pretty quickly. Eden lives a sober life, but tells Lisa that she shouldn’t be concerned about drinking in front of her. Lisa says that gene skipped her, but she worries about the kids. Eden talks about healing and living in the moment. She tells Lisa about her early life, and how her mother ditched her to go to the Hamptons the second she was born. Lisa says it’s a journey, not a result, and I wonder how many buzzwords and catch phrases we can cram into this conversation.

Erika meets with her creative assistant, and they check out the sets and costumes for her new video. She feels good about it, and says she’s making it happen. Whatever it is.

Kyle meets with a planner before they start game night. We flash back to the other game nights where things did not go well. Mostly due to Brandi. Since Brandi no longer exists in this world, Kyle thinks it’s going to be fun. They’re splitting into different random teams throughout the night.

After Kim arrives, Erika is next. Kyle is concerned about the mix of Kim and LisaR, since that’s another thing that hasn’t gone well in the past. Camille comes bearing a white orchid, followed by Eden. LisaV and Dorit bring up the rear. Erika says she’s never been to game night, but heard stories. LisaV asks if she’s wearing her bullet proof vest.

The ladies go outside for dinner. Kyle wonders where LisaR and Eileen are. Still in the limo. Eileen tells Lisa that things got “weird” with Dorit when they last met. How any of these women have navigated through life this far is a mystery to me. That wasn’t even close to weird. I’m telling you, Eileen is trying to create a story where there just isn’t one.

As they sit down to eat, Eileen and LisaR arrive. Kim is sitting across from LisaR, making everything awkward, especially since Lisa had no idea that Kim was going to be there. They talk about Brook’s upcoming baby. In her interview, Kim says she’s in a happy place and wants to leave their issues behind. Kim makes a stupid joke, and sees Eileen and LisaR exchange eye-roll glances.

It’s game time! Game dude Cal sets things up. The first thing is charades. One team is inside and one is outside, but I’m not sure what the purpose of that is. Dorit is given “Seinfeld,” and I would have no idea what to do with that one either. Moving on. I missed the name of the next game, but it sounds really stupid. It’s similar to charades, but you move another person’s body around to give the clues. Watching it, I amend my opinion to it being beyond stupid. Kyle tells us it’s finally been a successful game night and Cal leaves. That was quick.

Afterwards, the girls sit around chatting. Dorit asks Kyle about Eden. In her interview, she says Eden is what you want to be as a women, and even straight women could be attracted to her. Everyone sits around the pool, and Dorit tells Eden that she has sex appeal. She wonders if Eden is gay, but LisaV says that Dorit sounds like the gay one. She is being a wee bit aggressive.

Eileen discusses the panty thing with Kyle, and how Dorit thought she was being picked on. Erika joins them and Eileen calls Dorit over. Eileen starts off by saying she totally loves Dorit, so you know something is coming. She tells Dorit that she was just giving an opinion about Pantygate, and not attacking her. Dorit talks about the lunch at Camille’s house, and says Kyle told her that Erika might have unresolved feelings. In her interview, Kyle thinks Dorit feels guilty and wants to drag others into it, but we see that she did say that. Dorit thinks that Eileen is acting overly protective toward Erika, and when Eileen says it’s Erika they’re talking about, Dorit reminds Eileen that she’s the one who brought it up tonight. Dorit says Kyle was with her when she bought the underwear, and wonders why she didn’t say something at the time. Truth!

Dorit says Eileen likes to make a big circle of things. Eileen tells her to stop talking and that she talks too much. Erika says the problem is that it’s become bigger than it should have been, and she feels like the brunt of a joke. Kim can’t see why it’s a big deal in the first place, and in her interview, tells us she’s not wearing underwear right now. Thanks for the visual.

LisaR tells Dorit about how she texted Eileen when she felt she’d crossed a boundary regarding Eileen’s grieving process. We flash back to PK thinking that the death of LisaR’s father’s might have colored her attitude toward LisaV. Dorit intimates that Eileen influences LisaR. Kim says they do bounce off of each other. Eileen says they’re friends, but Kim thinks LisaR makes excuses for going after people, and says that she never apologized for being mean. LisaR says that her father was fine at the time, but the reason she attacked Kim was that Kim went after Harry. #WhatDidHarryDo? We flash back to the dinner in Amsterdam. LisaR suggests they talk about Kim’s arrest because that’s so relevant to the topic.

LisaV is like, oh come on, and thinks this is wrong on a few levels, with which I’m in total agreement. Kim asks if that makes LisaR feel good. LisaR says she thinks her intentions are good, but in her interview, she says she feels that Kim made a low blow and she blew back. Kim tells her that she’s fake and doesn’t tell the truth. Eden says as sober women, they both come from a good place, but have to lead by example. She thinks there’s something deeper going on. LisaR asks why Kim is angry with her, and Kim says she doesn’t think Lisa is sincere. Lisa asks what Kim wants, and Eden says they need to communicate. Kim says she’d like a sincere apology and Lisa apologizes, saying she’s sorry she tried to hurt Kim. In her interview, Lisa thinks it’s a moment of hope.

I’m convinced that both LisaR and Eileen are desperate for storylines, and being working actresses, are trying to create one for themselves.

Next time, a video pillow fight, a trip to somewhere that has wonderful blue water, and Eileen and Dorit have lunch. Duck. Run.

The Haves and the Have Nots

Kathryn attacks Veronica, who says she’s lost her mind. Kathryn tells her she lost it a long time ago. She chases Veronica up the stairs with the huge kitchen knife in her hand. They struggle on the stairs, and Veronica gets the better of Kathryn, shoving her down them. Kathryn lies, unmoving, at the bottom.

Jeffrey visits Wyatt in the hospital. Wyatt’s head is hurting, and when Jeffrey won’t stop pacing, he tells him to relax. He asks Jeffrey what he was talking about on the phone, but Jeffrey tells him he didn’t say anything and it must be the meds talking. Jeffrey decides he’s leaving, and tries to get out of the bed. Jeffrey tells him he’s in no condition to be going anywhere, and sure enough, he almost falls on his face. Jeffrey says that Wyatt is his friend and he loves him, and Wyatt asks why since no one else does. I’m loving Jeffrey’s sweatshirt, melon color, with exposed seams.  Wyatt is trying to get Jeffrey to leave, and tells him that his gayness disgusts him. Jeffrey says if he can’t look at him as a whole person and just sees who he sleeps with, that’s a problem. He tells Wyatt to get back in the bed. Wyatt says Jeffrey wants him, and Jeffrey says what he wants is for him to get better. He says he won’t always be there. Wyatt tries to leave again, but Jeffrey shoves him back down. Wyatt begs Jeffrey to take him home, but Jeffrey says no way is he taking Wyatt to his parents’. Wyatt says he has a secret apartment, and Jeffrey can stay and help until he gets better. He says he’ll get out one way or another. Jeffrey tells him that he’s full of contradictions, and Wyatt says most addicts are. Jeffrey is surprised that Wyatt admits to being an addict, and says he’ll talk to the doctor. Wyatt says he’ll be gone by the time Jeffrey gets back. Jeffrey leaves to answer a call.

It’s Candace calling from the car, and Jeffrey tells her that he’s been trying to get ahold of her. Candace says Veronica is lying, and he asks what Candace is going to do, since she killed Quincy and buried him in the backyard. Candace hangs up. I would too. Jeffrey calls back, and she asks why he would say such a thing when it’s him who killed Quincy? He says he knows, but she stabbed him too. She asks why he’s blaming her when he inflicted the fatal wounds? He asks if he missed something, and she says she was worried she was being recorded. Jeffrey says she knows him and he wouldn’t do that. He says that she dragged him into this kicking and screaming, and he needs her to get him out of it. He asks what the plan is, but she says she doesn’t know.

Candace asks how Jeffrey knew the police were there, and he says Justin called him. She asks if he can trust Justin, but he doesn’t know. She says she’s going to lay low tonight, but if the police are still there tomorrow, she’s going home. He asks what about him, and she says he has nothing to do with it right now, but she’ll call him.

Quincy Jr. helps Hanna with the dishes and she tells him how proud she is of him. He goes upstairs while she talks to Benny. She shows Benny a hotel address, saying they’ll have to share a room. He still thinks Candace is going to come through, but Hanna isn’t believing it. She says he still has his truck and can make some money from that, but realizes by his reaction that the bank wants his truck too. He insists Candace will get the money, but Hanna insists she won’t. She says she’s been watching Candace walk down this road for years, tearing people down. Benny thinks Hanna is the one tearing Candace down. Hanna says she tries to talk to her, hoping that she’ll reach Candace’s soul, since she knows she has one somewhere. Benny says she never encourages Candace. Hanna says she’ll never encourage her to do wrong, and he has no idea what she goes through. Benny suggests if she tries a different angle, Hanna might reach her. Hanna wants to go with Quincy Jr. to the hotel, but Benny says he’s staying there and waiting for Candace.

Benny tells Hanna she’s mad at the world and to go pray about it. Hanna says she just offered him a roof over his head, but he says he has one – his roof. She says she’ll be upstairs, packing and praying.

David asks Erica if she enjoyed their date and she says he’s a little rusty. He wonders if she’s referring to his age, but she says she likes older men. She says he did good, but seems distracted. She asks if it’s his ex, but he says it’s a lot more than that. He’s still trying to wrap his mind around the idea of a new life. Erica says this is his one chance and asks about Veronica. David says he doesn’t know her well enough, but she says that’s all the more reason. She doesn’t know either one of them.

He says they fell in love in college, graduated, got married, and had a son. They built a beautiful, exceptional life together, until it all unraveled. She asks about the affair, saying usually it’s an affair or money, but he doesn’t look like he needs money. David says she had one, but it’s more complicated than that. Erica asks if she’s the revenge girl, but David insists she isn’t. Erica says she kind of likes it. She’s free and unattached and they can see each other when they want to, and not necessarily to have sex. He says she’s mature, and she says she does like him. He tells her he likes her too, and she says it’s time for her to go upstairs to her room. He kisses her on the cheek and looks fondly after her. Then he gives a quizzical look, making me wonder what he’s thinking.

There’s a knock at David’s door. It’s Oscar, who’s obviously been in a fight. He asks if David has heard from Veronica, and when David tells him he hasn’t, says it’s a good thing. David isn’t too sure, since he thinks she’s cooking up a plan because he’s the enemy now. Oscar finds this surprising, since they have a son together. What planet has he been on? David tells him that Veronica doesn’t know where he lives, and Oscar says he’ll keep an eye out for any surveillance. He hasn’t found out anything about Erica, but says he’ll keep digging. David tells him he doesn’t need to, and Oscar asks if he’s serious about her. David says they just met, but he’s excited. Oscar tells David to keep his antennae up, and other parts of his anatomy too, and I laugh. Oscar tells David to let him know if he needs more help. David’s phone rings, and Oscar lets himself out.

It’s Jim. Jim asks if David has talked to Kathryn, since he hasn’t been able to get ahold of her. David asks why he’s still in jail, and Jim says he can’t get the judge on the phone. He asks David to go to the house, and tells him that he also needs War out of jail. David says that War has a rap sheet a mile long, but Jim says he knows that. He tells David where the spare key is.

Benny’s partner, Mitch, sees a guy looking over the trucks. When he asks what the guy is doing, he says his job. He was sent by the court to count cars. The guy tells him to talk to Benny.

Mitch calls Benny and lets him know what’s going on. Benny tells him that Candace is involved, and tells him to get his own truck out of there. He says they’ll talk later. Mitch says the truck is in his name, but Benny tells him to be on the safe side and to lock up. Mitch tells the guy to move his car, but he says nothing goes off the property. Mitch gets in his truck, showing him the registration. The guy insists nothing moves. Mitch says he understands, but he needs to move his car or he’ll move it for him. Dude keeps saying sorry, but if Mitch moves anything, he’ll go to jail. Mitch doesn’t care and backs out taking the guy’s car with him. He should have moved his car considering how well-connected Mitch is.

Candace drives up to her townhouse, which is crawling with police. An officer says she can’t go any further. When she says she’s the homeowner, he says they have a search warrant. She asks why, and he tells her to read it for herself. Evidence for a homicide. He asks if she knows Quincy Maxwell, and Quita comes up behind her, getting all loud. She says she knows Candace did something to Quincy, and the police are going to find out, and says Quincy loved Candace. If that’s true, I’d hate to see how he treats the people he hates. The officer tells the both of them to get back, and Quita makes a bunch of noise. Candace tells her if she says anything else, she’s getting her ass beat, and walks threateningly toward her.

Justin tells the other cops that they’re needed upstairs and takes a call from Jeffrey. Jeffrey asks if Candace is there, and Justin says that’s not a good idea. Jeffrey says, too late, she’s coming, and Justin says he’ll call when they’re done. He goes outside and sees Candace, making up a reason to talk to her. He makes Quita move, and Quita gets all pissed, flinging herself around. Ha-ha! Justin asks Candace how long she’s lived there, and she mentions Justin being there, and what happened between him and Jeffrey. He tells her not to threaten him. She says a threat would be telling his mother or going to the department. She tells Justin not to mess with her, and he says he was going to help her, but now he might show the officers the backyard. He says he’s all she’s got; either she trusts that or there’s nothing he can do. Candace doesn’t budge, and Justin relents.

War bugs Jim, who tells him not to worry; he’s getting out. Jim says to just get ahold of what he needs. War says pictures and negatives. He can’t believe Candace put drugs in his car (she didn’t), and Jim is like, why not? Jim wonders about Kathryn and why she’s not picking up the phone.

She’s still in the same position, at the bottom of the steps. Veronica is unsure of what to do. Yeah, don’t check her pulse or anything. She shoves Kathryn a little with her foot, but there’s no response. The door is still locked, and Veronica searches for the key. In the meantime, Kathryn comes to. She sits up. She groans, leaning on the banister. Veronica says she’s kept her there all night, now let her go home. Kathryn straightens up and tells her to get out. And this is even more unbelievable than the storyline – Kathryn’s hair looks absolutely amazing! We should all have every day be a hair day like hers. Veronica tells Kathryn that she’s bleeding, and Kathryn says that Veronica is too. Veronica asks for the key, and Kathryn tells her go out the window. Kathryn threatens her with the knife, saying she’ll never be okay after what Veronica did to her son. David walks in, and Veronica throws herself at him, begging for help.

My hat is off to Tyler Perry once more.

Next time, David tells Veronica to stay away from him, Justin has Mitch arrested, and Candace blackmails Justin with some photos.

A little on Ladies of London. Caroline #1 invited everyone to Scotland. I’m guessing by the end of the trip, they’ll all be glad she’s moving to Dubai. I did laugh at Julie saying that Joan Collins Sophie is so far up Caroline’s heinie, that she’s practically her legs. Adela surprises us by her admission of trying to commit suicide, and gives the second great quote of the night about how you drink to drown your sorrows, but they learn to swim. Juliet is a moron who understands nothing because she’s so shallow, and calls Adela selfish. Crystal Carrington Sophie has the balls to call Juliet out on her negativity, so Juliet tells everyone that she’s going to show her what negativity really is. This is after she made Marissa cry, and in her interview, says that not only is Adela selfish for daring to feel depressed, but Marissa should just get over whatever her problems are. Insensitive much? And we learn that Catherine #2’s idea of casual is heavy on the sequins.

🎼 As usual, the soundtrack rocked! Is it on iTunes or something?

😎 Hmm… I just thought, I wonder if Caroline #1 is going to get her own spin-off, something like Live from Dubai. I wouldn’t mind seeing that. She also gave the third best quote: Is it bad to want to stab myself at my own dinner party?

January 5, 2017 – Buzz is Found at the Soup Kitchen & a Tyler Perry Mention

Standard

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Sam, Jason and Curtis work the soup kitchen, hoping to find the homeless guy involved with the car bomb. Jason talks to Sam about volunteering at the shelter later on, but she reminds him that right now they’re on the case.

Ava visits Julian at Alexis’s place. They go blah-blah-blah about the holidays. Ava asks where the hit and run driver is, meaning Alexis. Julian says she’s out, and Ava says it has to be happy hour somewhere.

The dive bar bartender asks Franco who he is, and says he already talked to the cops. Franco says he’s a concerned party, but when the bartender doesn’t want to spill anything, he admits that Tom was murdered and the police think it’s him. Alexis enters the bar and tries to blend into the jukebox when she sees Franco.

Michael wonders if he and Nell gave Carly a nudge toward Sonny. Nell is all for optimism, but tells him not to get his hopes too high. She tells him if you want something to happen, you have to work at it.

Carly tells Sonny they need to talk. He says he just wants her to stay and be his wife. He asks what she wants, but she doesn’t know. When she woke up, she thought it was a dream at first. He asks if she’s happy with the reality or thinks it’s a mistake.

Curtis tells Jason and Sam that the dishwasher said the homeless guy’s name is Buzz, and he used to slip him leftovers, but he hasn’t been around for a while. They wonder if he’s left town for the winter. Sam asks about Winston, but Curtis says he leads a pretty boring life. Sam says that leaves Julian.

Julian has poured all of Alexis’s liquor down the drain, and Ava begs to be there when she finds out. He tells her this is serious. It dawns on Ava that Julian installed himself in there to save Alexis, not to convalesce, and he says somebody has to. Ava calls it a prelude to an intervention, and asks if anyone else knows. Julian says no, and Ava says the only way to get someone to admit to a problem is to expose it, and keeping Alexis’s drinking a secret isn’t helping her. If hitting him with the car wasn’t rock bottom, what will be?

The bartender tells Franco that he doesn’t know anything else. He hints that he might remember if he’s paid better. When Franco forks over some cash, he suddenly remembers that Tom was there drinking with a lady friend.

Julian tells Ava that he knows how to get through to Alexis better than anyone. Ava wonders if Alexis might be grateful enough to forget that Julian tried to kill her. Julian says it wasn’t supposed to happen that way, and Ava reminds him about what he said at the hospital – that Ava wasn’t the reason he got back into the business. She asks him if there was another reason that he held a knife to Alexis’s throat. He says no, it’s all on him. Sam calls and says she needs to see Julian right away. They make plans to meet at the MetroCourt.

Carly tells Sonny last night wasn’t a mistake and she didn’t mean to give him that impression. He tells her there’s no time frame in regard to her decision, and she says she wants to do the right thing for her and the kids. She doesn’t want to jump into a marriage whose foundation isn’t rock solid. Sonny flashes back to Nell in his bed.

The bartender tells Franco that they came in separately, and he got the impression the woman wasn’t too friendly. We flash back. At the bar, Tom tells Alexis they can finish what they started, but she’s not receptive to that idea. He asks what her problem is, since she was more friendly last time. She tells him she knows what he did, and to stay away or she’ll call the cops. The bartender tells Franco that he answered the phone, and when he turned around, the woman was gone. We see Alexis brush Tom off and leave. The bartender says Tom stayed there, nursing his bruised ego, and didn’t follow her. Franco asks if he knows who the woman is.

Jason wants to go with Sam to the MetroCourt, but Sam says Julian won’t talk if he’s with her. Jason says Julian isn’t safe to be around. Sam says they need answers, and she’ll get them any way she can. She leaves, and Curtis says she’s right. Jason tells him to shut up.

The bartender says he didn’t know the woman’s name and on top of it, she stiffed him. Franco asks for a description, but he says he doesn’t remember. He also tells Franco he needs a much better wallet. Alexis hides in the hallway until Franco leaves. The bartender asks if she wants vodka on the rocks. She says she thought he didn’t remember her. He tells her contrary to what he told Franco, he remembers a lot, like what she drinks, who she is, and that she was with Tom Baker the night he was killed.

Michael asks Nell if she believes in New Year’s resolutions. She says she’s going to improve her chess game. He suggests she learn to have fun. She says they had fun last night, but he says she wanted to leave by one. She tells him she wouldn’t have made it to work if she’d stayed out any later, and that she has priorities, goals, and things she wants to achieve. He tells her that she should resolve to have more fun – no gym memberships or diets, and he’ll coach her. She asks if he’s talking about chess or having fun, and he says both.

Carly tells Sonny that it feels good to be home and she’s missed him so much. She says it’s been clear that she shouldn’t have been grieving on her own, and instead should have been grieving with him. She says it’s not a matter of just packing and moving back in though. If they were to move forward and he broke her trust again, she thinks it would kill her. Omg, tell her already. He says that won’t happen. I think he’s talking to both of us.

Alexis says she doesn’t know what the bartender is talking about. He says that he saw her listening to his conversation, and she knows he was talking about Tom. She says that night was fuzzy. The bartender tells her that he takes care of his regulars, as long as she doesn’t stiff him again. She says she’ll pay him back and then some, and he says he covered for her. She gets a little confused, saying she left, but Tom stayed. The bartender says they both know that’s not accurate.

Ava leaves Julian to visit with Sam at the MetroCourt. Sam tells Julian that she spoke to Alexis, and asks if the name Rodge (Winston) rings any bells, since he thought Julian was living there. We flash back to the conversation between Winston and Alexis. Sam says that Winston owns a pawn shop, and he’s not Julian’s co-worker. She asks what kind of trouble he’s gotten into now.

Curtis tells Jason that Buzz may never return. Jason wonders what they should focus on now, making a sarcastic list. Curtis says a boy is dead for no reason, and the cops are looking in the wrong places. A strange guy slinks up, asking if it’s too late to get food.

Michael brings Sonny some lunch. Sonny tells him that he had a late breakfast with Carly.

Carly shows up for work, but Nell tells her if she wants to take the day to start the new year right, they’re fine. Carly says that’s exactly what she did – start the new year right.

Curtis tells the guy that he’s Father Curtis and this is his altar boy Jason. Dude thinks Jason is a little old to be an altar boy, but Curtis says he’s young at heart. He asks the guy how he found himself in these circumstances, saying he looks like he’d be good at mechanics, and pretending he helps people find jobs. The guy wants to leave, but Curtis sits him down, telling him that he’s the kind of priest who takes confession, and calling him Buzz. Jason says they’ll start with the murder of Morgan Corrinthos.

Julian tells Sam that Winston has done business with him, but not that kind. If Winston comes across a unique item, Julian gets first dibs. Sam says he hasn’t lived at Alexis’s since the summer, so why shouldn’t she be suspicious that Winston didn’t know that? Julian says they only do business a few times a year, and asks her to back off.

Alexis again tells the bartender that she left and Tom stayed. The bartender says if that’s what helps her sleep at night. She insists she didn’t see Tom after she left. We flash back to Tom following her out. The bartender says there’s no way he didn’t catch her, since she was stumbling around drunk. We see Tom grab her outside. The bartender says Tom didn’t come back. She owes him sixty bucks for both tabs, and he’ll say it was all hers. Franco is suddenly standing behind her.

Michael asks Sonny if Carly was only there for breakfast. He says when Carly left the MetroCourt last night, she didn’t come back, and asks if she spent the night. Not too nosy, and eww! Sonny tells him things are looking pretty good, and asks who Michael rang in the new year with. Michael says just a friend. Sonny asks who, and Michael tells him that it was Nell.

Carly credits Nell with telling her to make something of her New Year’s Eve, and tells her she went to Sonny’s and they had a bit of a breakthrough. Nell acts all happy and asks if they’re getting back together. Carly says they only said they’ll keep talking, but she thinks they might be okay.

Franco asks what Alexis is having, and she says nothing. She claims she got lost and came in to ask for directions. He asks what about her cell phone. She tells him it died and not to approach her again. She jets out the door. Franco looks at the drink sitting on the bar and bets it’s vodka.

Julian tells Sam that he knows she and Jason are investigating the car bomb and think he’s involved. He says someone wants him dead and might be planning another attack, and asks her to stay out of it. She tells him to prove his concern and tell her the truth. He says the more she knows, the greater the danger to her, Danny, and not-yet-born Scout.

Buzz tells Curtis and Jason that they can’t keep him there, and threatens them with the cops. Jason says he’ll be glad to call them, and Curtis says the commissioner is a good friend. Buzz sits back down. Jason tells him that they know he didn’t plant the bomb, but they want to know who hired him. Buzz is concerned about what happens to him if he tells, but Jason thinks he should be more concerned about what happens to him if he doesn’t. Buzz says he didn’t know it was a bomb. He thought it was a tracking device, and was given fifty bucks to plant it. They show him Julian’s picture, but Buzz says that’s not the guy. Next, he sees Winston’s picture. He says Winston is the one who paid him, but he’s not the one calling the shots.

Carly asks if Nell and Michael had a good time. Nell says it was nice, and Carly says they seem to be getting along. Nell tells her they’re just friends, and Carly says if they want to be more than that, it’s fine with her. Carly asks if Michael isn’t interested, which I find an incredibly rude assumption. Nell says she’s not available; there’s somebody else in her life.

Michael tells Sonny that he and Nell just went out as friends. Sonny says Michael should be careful of a rebound relationship, but Michael says there’s something about Nell.

Buzz says he realized he was suckered by someone committing murder, but when he went to see Winston to confront him, he was there with his lady boss.

Ava asks Sam where Julian is, and Sam says he took a cab back. Sam asks Ava how Julian is doing. Ava says physical therapy is going well, but all he talks about is healing and fixing his relationship with Alexis and his kids. He actually believes he’s going to win them back. She leaves, I assume to do lady boss things.

Franco calls Scotty, asking him to come to the dive bar. If he’s going to prove his innocence, they have to start there.

Alexis gets home and remembers the night again. Tom tells her to be nice or he won’t be. Back in the present, she looks for her liquor, but it’s disappeared. Julian walks in, and she asks him what he did with it. He says nice to see her too, and shows her the box of empty bottles.

Tomorrow, Laura says everyone deserves a second chance, Winston has bad news, and Buzz tells Jason about an underground way into the pawn shop.

☎ Another excellent show I forgot to mention is Too Close to Home, a newish Tyler Perry effort, now in its second season. While I can give the ladies a one-word reason for watching – Brody (Brock O’Hurn) – the story ain’t bad either. In a nutshell, Anna has been forced to retire from her political career by Heather Locklear, who is the President’s wife. He’s had a heart attack while he was in bed with Anna and Heather isn’t pleased. Anna goes back to her home in God-Knows-Where trailer park, to live among her loser family members again. Tyler Perry has a great talent for old school soap opera nighttime drama, and this show does not disappoint. Because the OWN network was full, this one is on TLC, Wednesdays at 10 pm ET.
