What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Anna says she knew Valentin would recognize the necklace. She doesn’t remember where she got it, but realizes why she kept it. He asks if it’s a fondness for Greek mythology. She recalls the last time she asked Valentin to steal information – the Chimera Project – and says it went horribly wrong.

Sam wonders if the page of the book was deliberately hidden or the pages were just stuck. Jason says he doesn’t know, but he’s seen the chimera before. It’s freaking him out that he thinks he was meant to see it.

Elizabeth thanks Franco for helping with the boys. She sees the timeline on the table, and the new drawing. She asks what it is, and Franco says it’s nothing good.

Ava bugs Scotty, who tells her that he does have other clients. He doubts Julian is going to make bail. Ava says she’s there for her own needs, and he asks what hole she’s dug for herself this time.

Carly complains about Lucy leaving her hanging about the finalized arrangements for the Nurses Ball. Josslyn drops by the MetroCourt, needing a signature for a field trip. She asks if they’re going to pretend that nothing happened with Jax. Carly says she hates it, but the best they can do is for Josslyn to meet him in Montreal. She’s unhappy about it, but they have to accept it.

Sonny walks in, and Carly tells him to have Diane call her attorney. He says it’s not about the divorce; it’s about Morgan.

Ava says she’s not in any trouble, and Scotty asks for a minute to get over the shock. She says her optimistic viewpoint is starting to pay off, thanks to him and his advice. He thinks maybe he should become a self-help guru. She says that’s a noble idea, and he says it’s also where the money is. She says his assurance that Morgan’s pills won’t come back to haunt her was what did it.

Sonny tells Carly about the pills showing up in the evidence from The Floating Rib robbery. She says the robbers must have been questioned, but Sonny says they made a deal. Carly tells him that it doesn’t make sense. Sonny says that’s what he thought; why would Morgan bring the pills to the bar? She asks why Sonny didn’t tell her sooner, and he says he was waiting for an answer. She says even if Morgan had brought them to the bar, they wouldn’t be there six months later. She wants them analyzed, but Sonny says he already did it, and the results are in.

Sam wonders why Helena would give the book to Elizabeth if she wanted Jason to find it. She doesn’t think they’ll find anything else out tonight, but Jason feels they’re running out of time and have to deal with it now.

Franco tells Elizabeth it looks like a medieval manuscript, but Elizabeth says this wasn’t something Jake studied in school. They don’t want to ask Jake, but Franco says on some level Jake trusts him to help. Elizabeth thanks him for caring, and tells him to go ahead.

Anna tells Valentin that she kept the necklace as a symbol of what might have been. She says it’s an illusion, a dream, a glimmer of hope; something that ended too soon. She wishes she could go back, but Valentin thinks there’s no reason. She says there are moments from that night she cherished. It was magical. She talks about making love in the hotel, but he says when she was in the shower, he found the proof of him being on the kill list. She says it’s was a warning. She says he thinks he knows the whole story, but he’s wrong.

Valentin gives Anna his jacket. She wishes she’d never heard the word chimera or manipulated him out of the secrets. If he believes her or not, she would never have ordered his death. She lit a candle and prayer to Santa Teresa for forgiveness. He says she’s the patron saint of missions. Anna says her regret isn’t losing the secret of the project, but losing him. The necklace reminds her of the hearts she broke that night – his and hers.

Franco gets online and looks up the chimera. He reads the definition to Elizabeth, and she says the picture is exactly like Jake’s drawing. Jason calls. He asks if Jake has ever mentioned a chimera. Elizabeth tells him to come to her place right away.

Scotty wants to go get martinis, but Ava says she has a case for him. She says what’s catastrophic for Sonny is good for her. Carly is no longer on Sonny’s side, and it’s the perfect opportunity to get Avery back.

Sonny tells Carly that everything checks out. Morgan’s death had nothing to do with the pills. Carly says they’re going to find out why he was spiraling out of control. If one of the links in the chain were missing, Morgan would still be alive. Sonny gives her a copy of the lab report. Her phone rings, and she says it’s not a good time, but then says she’ll be there. She tells Sonny the lawyers want them to meet to divide assets. He asks if they can’t do it between them. He says she can take whatever is his. She says she has what’s his already, and plans on keeping it.

Sonny says he didn’t sleep with Nelle, but Carly slept with Jax. He didn’t cheat; she did. He doesn’t want to bring it up in court, but she says go ahead. Everything is hers; he signed it over to her. He says he did it to protect her and the kids; he can’t believe she’s holding it over him. She says she can’t believe he had Jax deported. They start to argue, and Josslyn steps in. She tells Sonny to leave her mother alone. She doesn’t forgive him for anything and can’t wait for the divorce. She says Morgan wouldn’t have forgiven him either. He says maybe not, and leaves.

Scotty says as Ava’s lawyer and friend, relax and enjoy her newfound tranquility. He says Sonny and Carly will always be loyal to each other; when it comes to the kids, they present a united front. She says it might be her chance to get Avery back. He tells her to do nothing and stay alive. She needs to stay away from anything to do with Sonny’s family.

Jason and Sam arrive at Elizabeth’s house. Jason shows Elizabeth the book. He wonders what the significance is. Elizabeth shows them the timeline.

Valentin tells Anna that he’s got to get home to Nina. Anna says she forgot about Nina, bringing my dislike for her up a notch. He wants Anna to go to a doctor, but she won’t, so he suggests driving her home. Where does he keep his car? Isn’t it at his home? Although I guess he’s rich enough to keep another car in Port Charles. He helps Anna off the docks.

Elizabeth tells Jason and Sam about the numbers on the timeline. Sam wonders why Jake would draw the chimera so close to his birthday. Elizabeth and Franco tell them about the birthday trip, and how Jake seemed like he was being told not to go. Sam wonders if it’s just an excuse. Franco thinks they’re running out of time, and Jason agrees.

Valentin says what’s an act of kindness between mortal enemies, and Anna asks if that’s what they are. The car won’t start, and Valentin thinks it’s weird since he just used it. He says he’ll get her an Uber. She says he’s stuck with her for a while longer.

Ava tells Scotty, okay, she’ll table the Avery talk. At least for tonight. He still wants to go for drinks, but she feels like she doesn’t have much to celebrate anymore. He changes her mind, and tells her that she has to buy all the rounds.

Carly tells Josslyn to count to ten and listen. Her divorce has nothing to do with Josslyn. She and Sonny have difficulties, and right now are bringing out the worst in each other, but agree that they love their kids. What he did wasn’t right, but neither one of them want Josslyn to be hurt. They hug.

Sonny goes to The Haunted Star and gets a scotch, telling the bartender to leave the bottle. A woman sitting at the bar says somebody had a bad day. He says he doesn’t like to whine about his problems. She asks if he’d rather drown them in scotch, and says that’s why she’s not married. He asks why she thinks it has to do with his marriage. She says lucky guess. He says it’s over soon anyway, and asks if he can buy her a drink.

Carly suggests that Josslyn stay with her dad for a while. She thinks Josslyn could use some distance. Josslyn doesn’t want Carly to be alone, but Carly says she has Michael on her side. Josslyn says he wants a truce, but she wants Carly to take Sonny for all he has. She says maybe she can spend time in the summer there, and Carly can come with her. Carly says she can come for a couple of weeks, but can’t be there for an extended time. She doesn’t want to use Jax as a crutch; it wouldn’t be fair to any of them. Josslyn asks if she’s going to make up with Sonny, but Carly says it’s over. Josslyn asks why she’s still wearing her ring.

Sonny and the stranger sit at a table. She says she’s visiting from LA. They talk about the beach, and Sonny says that he has interests in the Caribbean. They toast to warm water and white sand. Scotty and Ava walk in. The woman asks Sonny if he surfs, and he says hell no. Neither does she.

Franco says the detail shows that Jake has seen it before. Jason says the obvious conclusion would be that he saw it on the island, but Helena likes misdirection. Sam thinks they need a break. Elizabeth says they can start fresh in the morning, and they agree not to question Jake. Jason says whether he likes it or not, Jake thinks he has a connection with Franco, and tells Franco to do the right thing. After they’re gone, Franco wonders what that was about.

Anna asks Valentin to stay until the Uber comes. She says she doesn’t consider them mortal enemies, and asks him not to shut her out. He thinks it’s better that way. She says for what it’s worth, she’s grateful he didn’t seek revenge and turn the Chimera Project over to the DVX. He says they weren’t the only ones interested, and she asks if he turned it over to someone else.

The woman says boring stuff to Sonny about the beach. Ava tells Scotty that it didn’t take Sonny long to get over his heartbreak. Scotty says he’s getting the car, and tells her to meet him out front. Sonny tells the woman it’s been great chatting, but he has to go. He says the drinks are already paid for. She tells him good night and leaves. He takes his ring off and follows her. What? Have we learned nothing from Nelle? Ava makes a soap opera face.

Carly looks at her ring and wonders why she’s still wearing it. Josslyn returns, and they leave together.

Anna says something must have stopped Valentin, and he says don’t be so sure. If he took it further, she has to know. The Uber arrives, and he says right on time. He helps her out of the car, but she still wants an answer. She mentions that it’s nice he still has the watch, and I wish he’d jump up and down on it already. He leaves her there, and she makes an even better soap opera face than Ava.

Jason thanks Sam for her help. She says she’d do anything for him. She didn’t want to frighten Elizabeth, but whatever Helena did to him and Jake, she thinks it’s all tied together. Jason does too, and thinks the chimera is the key, and Greece is the place to start. He has to go back to Cassadine Island.

Franco says Jason can’t take it back now. Elizabeth says that Jake is important to him and Sam. She suggests they go to bed. Franco says he saw something online that he didn’t want to tell them about. According to legend, the chimera foreshadows disaster. If you were paying attention, I told you this yesterday.

Tomorrow, Nathan is happy that Maxie is coming back, Tracy has an announcement, Sonny gets busy, and Lucy gets the Nurses Ball together. I can’t wait to see how she loses her dress this year. It’s right up there with the Quartermaines having pizza on Thanksgiving. Soap tradition is everything.

If Loving You is Wrong

When we last left Maxine, the cops were running from Kelly’s house, coughing. It’s gas. An officer says someone left the stove on. Travis and Justice are nowhere to be found. Esperanza tries to get Kelly to calm down.

Commercial break with important information. The Haves and the Have Nots returns on June 20.

Peter calls for Alex, who’s in the laundry room, crying. He tells her the police are everywhere outside. Alex thinks it has something to do with her. She tells Peter to take his sister upstairs. She opens the door, and Rick is standing there. He says they’re looking for a lost boy. Esperanza tells her that they can’t find Justice, but Alex says he’s with her, upstairs. And here he is. Kelly asks why he didn’t answer his phone. He says he was talking to Travis, and Kelly tells him to never talk to Travis again, and never get in his car.

Esperanza tells Alex that Travis has been stalking Kelly, and took Justice without telling her. Alex is shocked because Travis has always been nice. Esperanza tells Rick that means nothing. Kelly wants him arrested, and Rick tells her to come to the station. She wants to bring Justice, but Alex promises not to let him out of her sight. Kelly leaves with Rick. I’m hoping Kelly ends up with Rick.

Steven asks Ben if he was in the captain’s office, but he says no. Eddie watches with as much interest as he’s capable of. Steven takes Ben into the office, and asks if he should look at the tape. He knows Pete was using the computer. Pete says he was just looking something up, but Steven doesn’t buy it. He used the captain’s code to log into the FBI website, and Steven wants to know why. Ben says Eddie told him that he works with Steven, and asks if they’re “down.” Steven asks if he wants to be fired, and Ben says do what he has to. Relenting, Ben tells Steven that he was told to find out about Claudia by Eddie. When Steven asks why, he tells him to ask Eddie. Eddie gets called into the office.

Steven asks why he sent Ben to look Claudia up. Eddie says better that Ben get fired than him. At least with Eddie, you know where you’re at. Steven says they have nothing on her, but Eddie insists she’s FBI. He tells Steven that he had a run in with Julius the other day. Julius wanted him to take out three people – Quan, Quan’s mother, and Claudia. He doesn’t know why. He says it’s his in, and he already has one down, even though he had nothing to do with it; Lushion’s son pulled the trigger. He says if he gets the others, Julius will be in debt to him. Steven says they’re loyal until they kill you, but if Eddie gets in with Escada, he wants in too. Ben asks what happened when Eddie comes out, and Eddie calls him a dumbass.

Tyrell calls his mother from prison. She asks if he’s heard from the parole board, but he hasn’t yet. He says he’s calling to tell her to stop giving Kelly a hard time. He says she’s raising their son, and he needs her to be there for him. He says Justice is doing fantastic in school, and Kelly is a good mother. He took this fall for Justice, so let Kelly take her time telling him. Diane says it isn’t fair, and she doesn’t like it. He says she’ll do it when the time is right. Diane agrees to get off of Kelly’s back. He says he’ll be out soon enough.

Randal sees Natalie getting out of a taxi and calls to her. She ignores him. He says he wants to talk to her, and tells her welcome to the neighborhood. She asks what he really wants. He says he wants to apologize, since they haven’t gotten along. She says they never will, and tells him to move along. She doesn’t know, like, or trust him. If he was on fire, she wouldn’t spit on him. He says he thought she’d want to know that Lushion has been cheating on her; he saw Lushion coming out of Alex’s house, and Alex told him they were. Natalie tells him to stop lying, and he says that Alex says the baby is Lushion’s. She says good-by; she’s not listening to him. Good move, but you know it has to be on her mind now.

Randal leaves, and Natalie strides over to Alex’s house. She knocks, and Alex invites her in. Alex asks about Joey, and says they must be moving in soon. Natalie says soon, but she’s not sure exactly when. She asks if Lushion dropped by today, and Alex says he did. Natalie asks why, and Alex asks if she’s been home. Natalie says no, and Alex says that Lushion was just checking on her. Natalie asks how long it took, and Alex says not long. She asks where Brad is, and Alex tells her that he moved out. Natalie says, so it’s just her and the kids, and Alex says yes, asking if everything is okay. Natalie says she’s fine, and she has to get back. Awkward exchange.

Natalie goes back to the new house. She sees Lushion on the porch. She asks if he went to Alex’s house today, and he says no. She keeps asking if he’s sure, and then tells him that Alex said he was. He says oh, yeah, he was. She says Alex told her he was asking about mail and he agrees. Natalie says she doesn’t like being lied to, and asks why he went over there and why he lied. He keeps trying to get her to come in the house, and she asks how many times he’s seen Alex when she wasn’t there. He asks what’s gotten into her. She asks if they’re sleeping together. He says he knows she’s tired, and he’s going to forget that. She asks if that’s because he doesn’t want to lie. She says she’ll go ask Alex herself. He says he’ll be there after she makes a fool of herself.

Natalie goes back to Alex’s house. After finding out the kids are upstairs, she asks Alex if she and Lushion are messing around. Alex asks if Randal told her that, and says she’d told him they were, but they’re not. Natalie asks why she said that, and Alex says she was in a bind. She tells Natalie about the court hearing, and how she had to think of something quickly. She told the judge she doesn’t know who the baby’s father is, and when Randal pointed out the baby is half-Black, she couldn’t think of anyone else. Natalie asks if she has fantasies about Lushion, and Alex says she wouldn’t do that to her. Natalie says she did it to Marcie. Alex says she knows it was wrong, and she’s sorry, but she’s never spent more than three minutes alone with Lushion. He came over to borrow something. She can’t say what; it’s a surprise. Natalie tells her to keep Lushion’s name out of her mouth, and Alex says she will. Natalie says people get hurt talking this kind of crap, and she needs to tell Randal the truth before it gets around. Alex promises she will, and tells Natalie she’s sorry again.

Natalie goes back to the house. Lushion has it all furnished and decorated. She asks if he did this, and he says he’s not talking to her. She apologizes. He says no, and asks if she talked to Alex, and Natalie explains why Alex said what she did. He says Natalie jumped on him because of some lies. She says she asked him a question and he lied. He shows her the candle, and says he wanted it to be a surprise. He says she’d better be glad he loves her. He asks if she likes the place. He tried to find things she had circled in magazines, and she didn’t know he was paying attention. He says they’re not exactly the same; they’re cheaper versions, and she says she loves it. And she loves him. She says she’s sorry, and he’s like, Alex? Please. His phone rings, and Natalie tells him to answer it while she looks around.

It’s Pete. Lushion says his timing is bad. Pete tells him that he was in physical therapy with a kid who got shot. He said the kid knew Lushion, and said that he’d gotten shot because Lushion was a weak officer. Then a bunch of cops came in and took him away for violating probation. Lushion asks what the kid’s name was, and Pete says Joey. Lushion asks when they picked him up, and Pete says about an hour ago, and they were taking him to the infirmary. Pete asks what’s wrong, and Lushion says Joey is his son. Pete says he’s sorry, and Lushion says not as sorry as he’s going to be when he tells Joey’s mother.

Natalie looks around and everything is beautiful. Either Lushion is really gay or had help.

Pete apologizes again, and Lushion says he’s grateful for the information. He goes in one of the bedrooms where Natalie is crying happy tears. She says it’s what she always wanted. Not for her, but for the kids. He says he knows. She wonders if they could get the girls a scholarship for a certain school, and Lushion says maybe they can. She goes into the master bedroom and sits on the bed. She suggests they break it in. He tells her that Joey is in jail, and that they picked him up from the hospital. She says, Lord have mercy, if it ain’t one thing it’s another. Boy, did she get that one correctly. He tells her it’s all right, and they’ll get through it.

Meanwhile, Kelly runs into Diane at the station. Diane says Tyrell could be coming home; they’re making his parole decision. She wants to make sure everything is ready. She has a key, and if he gets out today, she’s bringing him over. Kelly wants her key back. She says Tyrrell isn’t coming to her house. Diane says she can tell him to his face. Kelly goes in to make her statement.

Randal comes to Brad’s office. Bead wants to kick his ass, but Randal says that Brad should hear what he has to say first. He wants to apologize, but Brad says get out. Randal says he’s dropping the lawsuit, and gives him the declaration. Brad starts counting. Randal babbles, saying the baby might be Lushion’s. Brad still counts, and gets up from his chair at nine. Randal says he’s going. Eddie walks in. He asks what the hell Randal is doing there. Brad says he was just about to leave, but Eddie says he’s not going anywhere. The party is just getting started.

Next time, Eddie draws gun on Randal, Lushion has to take a paternity test, and Marcie tells the doctor that Alex is the one who slept with her husband.

Below Deck Mediterranean

We meet the new cast, and I already feel behind. The chief stew is still Hannah, so at least there’s someone I’ll remember.

Destination Croatia; yacht name, Sirocco. Captain Sandy welcomes Hannah aboard. The captain says she’s not a micromanager, but she does observe, and doesn’t want her image tarnished. Captain Sandy does a walk-through with Hannah. The cabinets need massive organization, as things fall out of them when they’re opened. Chef Adam arrives. He lives in a van. Not by the river. He’s a surfer dude, who follows tasty waves.

Bosun Wesley is next. He’ll be Adam’s cabinmate. Captain Sandy tells Adam to come to her with any issues. He asks if she’s the chief stew, and she tells him she’s the captain. She’s used to it, so she isn’t offended. Bobby is also back this season, and he has braces. Stew Lauren has already met Hannah, when Hannah stayed with Bobby in New York and Lauren dated him. Seriously small world. Bobby is hoping things won’t be awkward. Bugsy is the second stew, although her real name is Christine.

Wes and Bobby load stuff onto the yacht, and deckhand Max shows up. He wonders how hard yachting can be. Malia, also a deckhand, rounds out the crew. It turns out Bugs and Wes know each other.

Captain Sandy has a team meeting. She says she’s not an a-hole unless you don’t follow the rules. She’s had every scenario happen to her, including being chased by pirates. She seems pretty cool, but I miss Captain Lee, and hope they do another season with him.

The captain is concerned about the clean up being done in time for charter. The crew gets to know one another while getting the boat ready. Bobby chats up Malia. The captain calls for Wes, Adam, and Hannah. The primary guest is Melissa, and the group is fitness minded. They also want a tribal themed dinner. Adam thinks their food restrictions are bogus, but he’s being paid, so he doesn’t care. Wes tells us that he’s “not the most smartest of people,” and we need subtitles to even understand what he’s saying.

Hannah meets with the stews. Bugs has been a chief stew before, and Lauren grew up in the hospitality industry. Hannah says she works hard, but she’ll always have time for any issues. The captain reminds the crew of their 9 pm curfew. Bobby and Hannah chat, and we flash back to Bobby cursing Hannah out the previous season. The captain insists Hannah get to bed early. She says the reason she’s so successful is that her crew gets rest.

Bobby thinks Wes’s name is Wiz because no one can understand him. The guests arrive. Bobby says they have a bunch of cougars. Now I remember how freaking annoying he is. Captain Sandy says her crew is not only professional, but sexy. Hannah gives the tour. Very nice; lots of beautiful wood with an African theme. I like the simpler décor. Except for the gold bathroom fixtures. There’s no getting away from those. It’s time to shove off.

Bobby says this season he’s here to work, as opposed to last season when his job seemed to be not leaving Julia alone. The crew has lunch in the galley. Chef Adam uses Post-It notes to remember who has what food tolerances. Bugs is into decorating, and the guest table looks awesome. A sea/starfish theme. The guests talk about what they’re going to do while on charter. Adam tells us that Eddie Vedder’s wife once threw a live octopus at him and told him to cook it. He pried it off his arm, and ended up getting a standing ovation for the meal. The guests are served. They think the food is amazing, and it looks amazing. Hannah is getting along with Adam, and hopes he doesn’t have a dark side.

The wind is picking up, and the yacht is dragging anchor. Captain Sandy calls Wes to the bridge, and says the anchor has to be pulled so they don’t crash into the rocks. An alarm keeps going off. The deckhands get the anchors up. The captain explains about the anchorage to the guests, and tells them that they have to head to port, but tomorrow, they can play in the water. Lauren cuts herself, and Adam helps her out. She thinks he’s adorable, and decides to spend more time in the galley. Yeah, they’re always adorable until they become divas. Wes guides the captain in. Great, the guy who can’t talk. They manage to dock safely.

Croatia is absolutely gorgeous! Bobby talks with Max about having dated Lauren. Adam prepares dinner. I want to charter a yacht just to eat the meals. Another beautifully decorated table is presented. One of the guests says it’s like a piece of artwork. Truth! The food is too. Adam sneaks in extra butter. Dinner is a success. A few of the guests stay up for espresso martinis. And then late-night nachos. Hannah tells us that waking up a chef is never fun, and I take her word for it. Adam wonders what happened to the preference sheet when Hannah tells him they want nachos with everything, including meat. Hannah says, I’m a vegan, but my alter-ego is a sixteen-year-old stoner.

The captain tells the guests that they’ll be anchoring if they want to do water sports. Breakfast happens. Bugs is annoyed because Adam wants her to write down the orders, but he thinks it works well for accountability. The crew gets the water toys together, and sets up a picnic on the beach. Captain Sandy says it’s the greenest crew she’s ever had. And she doesn’t mean ecologically. She teaches Malia how to drive the tinder. Hannah thinks it’s not the time to be giving lessons, and gets irritated when she finds out the food is arriving with the guests, since she’d wanted to have it set up first. She doesn’t know whether she’ll last the season.

Speaking of this season, Bobby has a good time, Bobby flirts, Bobby argues with Hannah, on board romance, an overflowing sink, complaining guests, and helium inhalation.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Lulu brings Rocco to visit Dante at the station. She’s all ready for her visit with Charlotte. Dante asks what she’s afraid of.

Hayden is having coffee outside of Perks, while Curtis runs the steps. She’s adding an extra kick to her coffee, and offers him a bottle in a paper bag. He accepts, saying he has to stay hydrated. She’s hiding from Finn because she wants to get back together and is scared he’ll say yes.

Finn isn’t doing too well. He’s like forget it, and we see he’s given himself a shot. But it’s a dream.

The hooded figure goes through Alexis’s house. He looks at a photo album. Alexis arrives home.

Carly tells Sonny not now. He asks if she heard him right, and repeats that he wasn’t unfaithful after all. I’m going to say this again. That wasn’t what she was angry about in the first place. Why would this change anything? Another case of the man not listening and/or hearing what he wants to hear.

Alexis goes into the house and sees a light is on. She asks if anyone is there. Kristina walks in, and Alexis almost crowns her with a laptop.

Hayden tells Curtis that she left Finn with a list of rehabs. Curtis says he knows Finn hurt her. He wanted to kill him, but Finn is legit; he’s a good guy, but the detox was rough. Hayden says he called her out on all of her insecurities. Curtis says he was out of his mind. Hayden says if it wasn’t true, it wouldn’t have been in his head, and he doesn’t trust her. Curtis says Finn loves her, but he needs to go to rehab and it’s a long road. She can’t fix it or save him. If she tries, she’ll end up losing herself.

Hayden’s phone rings. It’s Finn. She asks if he’s okay, and he says not really. He wants her to come over. She asks if he’s called a rehab, and he says he needs to see her.

Sonny explains about the recording to Carly. He says a girl who’s cold-hearted enough to set him up, would have recorded the act, but she only recorded the aftermath. He says that Nelle drugged him, and that’s why he blacked out. He says it should have been a clue, since in all his years of drinking, it’s never happened before. Carly asks if he has proof, and he tells her Nelle confessed. He says they can be together now, because he didn’t listen to what the problem really is.

Lulu tells Dante she can’t wait to get to know Charlotte, and that she’s bought Charlotte a bunch of toys. Dante says she seems nervous. Rocco gives Dante some cookies. He tells Rocco they’re the best cookies ever, even though that’s doubtful from the look on his face. When Rocco runs off, Lulu tells Dante about Rocco adding extra salt. Dante tells Lulu that gifts or cookies won’t make Charlotte love her.

Finn tells Hayden he does trust her; that’s why he asked her to help with the detox. She says he didn’t have anyone else. He says he’s ashamed of how he treated her. She tells him that he needs help that she can’t give him, and to please find it. She hangs up. She puts more liquor in her coffee, and Curtis says she did good. She asks why she feels like crap then.

Finn tells Roxie that he blew it. Hayden wants him to go to one of those places. He doesn’t think he can handle 28 days without practicing medicine, Roxie, and Hayden, but if he doesn’t go, he’ll lose Hayden forever.

Kristina doesn’t think a laptop is a very good weapon, and Alexis says she’ll use a fireplace poker next time. Kristina points out that it’s weird, and Alexis is still jumpy. Alexis says it seemed like someone was in the house, and tells her about the light. Kristina says maybe she forgot that she left it on. Alexis tells Kristina about Nathan’s visit, and Kristina says he talked to her too.

Carly wonders why Nelle would confess now. Maybe she’s lying because she likes Michael. Sonny says as soon as she said she drugged him, he knew it was true. No matter how drunk he was, she’s not his type. I guess he’s never heard of beer goggles. Everything after that, is on him. He tells Carly how much he loves her, and asks if this can be over. Carly looks at the wine on the table with the two glasses, and says it can’t.

Alexis says Nathan had no right to question Kristina. Kristina says they just ran into each other, but he was more worried about Alexis than anything else. He thinks she might be withholding information and putting herself in danger. Alexis says she’ll call Jordan, and tell her to make Nathan back off. Kristina asks what she could be hiding at this point.

Finn calls Tracy because he needs a good dose of the truth. He gets voicemail, and apologizes for what he said, calling her the best friend he’s ever had. He tells her that he misses her. He decides to go out for some fresh air.

Hayden thinks that Curtis talking to Finn is a good idea. He needs a friend, and she can’t be one. Curtis has been where Finn is, and can possibly get through to him. Curtis says he can’t convince Finn to go to rehab any more than she can. She gets up, obviously drunk. She tells Curtis they should go shake their booties and dance the night away. He says she’s crazy, but in a good way. She kisses him.

Sonny asks Carly if this is about his ultimatum, and says that he didn’t know where to go. If he’d just said something that morning, they could have worked things out. He knows he’s not easy to live with, and that Nelle shook her faith in him. He says nobody knows him in his core – the ugliness, anger, and brokenness – except her, and she loves him anyway. He needs her to love him, and he loves her. He says they can do this, and asks her to come back. Tears roll down her cheeks, and she says that she’s sorry, but he has to listen. With perfect soap timing, Jax pops out while putting on his shirt.

Dante says Lulu should just be herself. Lulu said she tried that, and Charlotte hates her. She was thinking about her needs instead of Charlotte’s. Dante says the more time Charlotte spends with her, the more she’ll get to know and like her. He tells Lulu to just be present and listen, instead of using bribery. Rocco joins them, and asks if Lulu will love Charlotte more than him.

Sonny tells Carly that didn’t take long. Jax says it’s her business. Sonny asks if it bothers him that he’s a back-up or a side piece. Carly tells him not to be ugly. Sonny says she crucified him for months, for a mistake he didn’t make, and the first chance she gets, she spreads her legs. Oooh! Jax tells him to apologize and leave, and Carly says let him go on. Sonny says Carly can’t last five minutes without a man in her bed, and that makes her a bad wife, but a great whore. Carly smacks him.

Alexis tells Kristina that she’s not hiding anything, but Kristina doesn’t believe her. Alexis says it’s going to sound “out there,” and Kristina says she can handle it. Alexis tells her that she feels like Julian isn’t dead, and it’s something tangible. She hears someone knocking, and there’s no one there; the phone rings, and ditto from a number she doesn’t recognize. She says she knows how Kristina felt about him, but Kristina says she can’t tell Alexis how to feel. She accepts Alexis’s grief, but that doesn’t explain phantom phone calls or knocks on the door. Alexis tells her about the credit card and phone call from the gas station.

Curtis tells Hayden to take it easy. She says there’s an attraction between them, and she’s free now. He says she’s wasted. He likes her a lot; she’s beautiful, smart, and edgy, although she’s sometimes a pita, but they’re friends. He doesn’t want to waste that or take advantage of it. She tells him to make her forget, and kisses him again. Mimicking Jax’s timing, Finn walks out and sees them.

Finn says he thought he’d get some fresh air, and asks what they’re up to. Curtis says it’s not what it looked like. He says Hayden cares about Finn, but he has no one to blame but himself. She’s drunk and reckless because of him. If he doesn’t want to get help, Finn will crash and burn, and take her along with him. He says he’s been there, but Finn is worse off, considering how long he’s been using. He says it hurts to admit you need help when something has control over you. The addiction is controlling him, and he’d better take help or he’ll lose Hayden. Finn says he loves her, and walks away. Hayden starts crying, and Curtis holds her.

Carly tells Sonny that she’s sorry he’s hurt and found out the truth too late, but he doesn’t get to come in her house and name call. He says she wanted the truth, and she lists all the recent lies he’s told her. She says for someone who prides himself on his word, he’s the biggest liar of all. She says it’s never going to be different and he says that’s right, because they’re done. He slams out. Jax asks Carly if she’s okay. She says no, but she will be.

Alexis tells Kristina that she has unresolved feelings for Julian. She wants to believe that what he said in the letter is true, and she never got a chance to talk to him about it. Kristina says she had a huge loss and serious trauma; it’s going to take time to recover. Alexis thanks her for talking her down. Kristina suggests she stick around, and maybe spend the night. She finds the photo album on the floor. Alexis says she’s sure she’d put it away, and Kristina says it was open as though someone was just looking at it.

Dante tells Rocco that they love him more than ever, and Lulu says he’s everything. They’re just excited about him getting a sister. Dante says no parent likes any one kid better than another – it’s the law. Lulu says they love them both. Rocco asks if that means Charlotte’s dad loves her too. Dante says he does, but a judge needs to sort things out. He asks if Charlotte is going to live with them, and Lulu says for now, they’ll just visit with her. Group hug.

Curtis gives Hayden some water. She apologizes. Curtis says his ego can always use a boost. She asks what’s wrong with her, and he says only small stuff. She’ll bounce back with or without Finn; she’s too stubborn not to. She wonders if what Curtis said made a difference, and if Finn is further on road to recovery or worse off.

Finn meets with a cliché-looking drug dealer. Actually, he’s a cliché-looking drug dealer who also looks like he stepped out of the 1960s.

Carly looks for some legal contact information. She tells Jax that Sonny is going to lash out, and she’s not going to let him trample over her. She has nothing to feel guilty about. Jax asks if she is feeling guilty, but she says no. They shared something special about them. She says she should feel guilty because she gave up too soon – at least Sonny thinks she did. She says she fought for as hard and as long as she could, but she’s done.

Alexis says she was showing Diane some old photos. Kristina goes down Memory Lane, and Alexis says it was nice while it lasted. She says she’s tired, and Kristina asks if she wants her to stay over, but Alexis says she’s fine and don’t worry. She isn’t going to put herself in any danger, just to bed. Kristina leaves.

Alexis looks at the photo album. She discovers that pictures are missing.

Tomorrow, Nina asks Valentin if he’s hiding something, Brad gets good news, and a dead body is found.

If Loving You is Wrong

Alex tells the judge to check the birth certificate. He asks who Brad is. Randal insists he’s the father, and the judge asks if he’s taken a paternity test. He’s annoyed that Randal is wasting his time. He says it’s obvious neither one of them is a fit parent. He’s going to order that the baby be placed in foster care. Until paternity is established, neither one of them is going to see the baby. He kicks everyone out of his office.

Randal follows Alex and blocks her way. He tells her she can’t stop him from getting his son, and she says she just did. She hates the day she met him, and he says that makes two of them. He does that creepy smile, and says he has the upper hand. He’s going to the police to tell them that she set him up. He says her mother told him, so that’s proof. Alex says big deal; she’s dead. He continues being all weird, and talks about her parents getting killed. He says her parents were evil people, and he sees it in her. She smacks him and he laughs. Omg, I hate this guy. He asks when the funeral is being held, and if there’s a hillbilly fund in a mason jar for it. He tells her that she has nothing anymore, not even her baby boy. She asks him to hold her purse. Oh, okay, she starts yelling that he tried to rob her. He throws the purse back, and a taxi comes out of nowhere and picks her up.

Someone named Diane knocks on Kelly’s door. It’s her ex’s mother. She looks around, and says it’s a nice house. She asks if her son’s money bought it, but Kelly doesn’t know what she’s talking about. Diane asks why he’s in jail for fraud then. Kelly asks why Diane is there, and Diane says for her son; he needs a place to stay. She says Kelly owes him. Kelly doesn’t think it’s a good idea for him to stay there because of Justice. Diane finds his name ironic when his father didn’t get any in taking the fall for her. Kelly apologizes, and Diane says she’s not that sorry, since she’s free. She insists on Kelly helping him get back on his feet. Kelly says that’s not going to happen. Diane tells her not to make her show how far she’ll go when she’s been wronged. Kelly says she’s just looking out for her son, and Diane says watch her look out for hers.

Lushion talks to Lamont about Andrew. There’s been no trace of him. Pete calls. He’s getting sprung from the hospital soon, and going into protective custody. Pete isn’t thrilled, but Lushion says it’s for his own good. Pete says Eddie isn’t God and couldn’t even find him under an alias. He tells Lushion that he’ll keep in touch. Someone has to know where he is, and he trusts Lushion.

Randal stomps into the station. Lushion asks why he’s there, and he says to make a complaint. He’s supposed to talk to Rick, and asks if Rick is a good guy. Lushion says he is, and asks why Randal dropped the lawsuit against Eddie. Randal says he moved on to something better. Lushion says Eddie told him that he saved Randal’s life, but Randal says if the other guy hadn’t shown up, he’d be dead. Lushion asks if he saw another officer there, and shows him Andrew’s picture. Randal says he was a little busy, so no. Lushion asks if there was a shootout before they arrived, and Randal tells him that only Alex had a gun, and was holding it to his head. He claims she set everything up. He explains that the FBI told him to talk to Rick. Lushion asks if he’s sure he wants to go through with this. Randal says that’s Lushion’s problem; he wants to let Alex and Eddie go. Lushion tells Randal to leave Alex alone, but Randal insists that he did nothing and she tried to have him killed. He does the creepy smile thing, and says he’s letting nothing go. Lushion says it’s just going to get worse, and Randal says that’s his plan. Rick comes by, and Lushion introduces them.

Randal sits at Rick’s desk. Lushion tells Rick to take what he says with a grain of salt. He asks how bad the house is, and Rick says he needs a crew. Lushion asks if there are any leads, and Rick tells him they got DNA and hair from the house. Lushion wonders if they’re looking at someone, but Rick can’t say.

Eddie comes in the breakroom to bug Esperanza. He tells her internal affairs is driving him crazy. That’s a short putt. BA-DUM-CHH! She wishes she could burn some sense into his ass. She asks why he was in the office, and Eddie tells her to ask Alex. He says they’re trying to figure out what happened. He says Alex called her parents and had them kidnap Randal, and the DA is trying to find out about her. They see a news item about Andrew going missing. Esperanza says that should be of interest to him.

Lushion gets a crew out to clean the house. It says cleaning service on the van, but that’s not how it works. There’s a van that actually says “crime scene” on it that cleans up crime scenes. Not a regular cleaning service. I know this because, unfortunately, I lived next door to someone who committed suicide.

Lushion sees Brad parked in the driveway of Alex’s house. Brad says her car isn’t there, and Lushion says she totaled it. Brad asks if she’s okay, and Lushion tells him to ask her. He asks if Brad is all right. Brad says he’s fine, and asks what Lushion is doing there. Lushion explains they’re moving in, and gives Brad props for rescuing the baby. Brad says he did what he had to. Lushion calls him humble, and repeats that he should talk to Alex. He says the one thing he can’t do is protect his heart from her. Lushion says he has a lot of heart left, and he can fix it. Brad says he doesn’t want to, and Lushion asks why he’s there then. Brad doesn’t know, and Lushion says he has nothing to lose. A delivery truck comes. and Lushion has to run. Lushion tells the driver he has to come back. He needs a few more hours.

Natalie sits by Joey’s bedside at the hospital. Kelly comes in with flowers. Kelly asks how he’s feeling and he says like he got shot. She tells him that she brought flowers, and he says he’s not dead. Natalie tells her not to pay him any mind. She can tell something is up with Kelly, and Joey tells them to take it outside.

In the hallway, Natalie asks what’s going on. Kelly tells her about Ramsey. Natalie is shocked and sorry. Kelly says they’re looking for suspects. She says she hardly knew him, but Natalie says that doesn’t make it any less sad. She knows there’s something else, and tells Kelly to spill it. Kelly asks if a man has ever been abusive to Natalie, and tells her about Travis. She says he’s like a different person, and she doesn’t know what to do. Natalie suggests shooting him in his ass. Just pull the trigger one good time; she doesn’t even have to mess up her hair. She tells Kelly to get a gun. Kelly says she has a meeting to get a restraining order. Natalie says that’s good, but a gun will restrain him too. She’ll call her girl Michelle, and she’ll help Kelly. Kelly wants to focus on the restraining order. Natalie says she told her.

Alex looks at a family photo and cries. She’s cleaning the house, because when in doubt, scrub something. Esperanza knocks on the door. She says she called, but Alex says sorry, she needed time alone. Esperanza says she heard what happened and she’s sorry. She asks if Alex needs help with the funeral, but Alex says let the county deal with it. Esperanza thinks she’s being harsh, but Alex says they don’t deserve any dignity. She wants Esperanza to drop it.

Alex asks why she’s there, and Esperanza says she was checking on her. Alex says she’s fine and not to tell her she isn’t. Esperanza asks how the baby is, and Alex says the doctor says he’s fine. She tells Esperanza he’s been put into foster care, even though she had nothing to do with it. Esperanza thinks she called her parents to help her to get rid of Randal. Alex asks if she’s there to aggravate her, and Esperanza says she’s there to help. She knows that Alex went to see them. She shows Alex some phone records and pictures. Alex asks if she’s an investigator. Esperanza says she’s trying to get ahead of Alex being charged as an accessory to murder.

Esperanza says she can get in a lot of trouble. She tells Alex to drop the attitude, and asks if she never wants to see her kids again. She says that Alex has to come up with an air-tight excuse before someone comes around. She says protests have already started, and things can get ugly fast. Her father was part of an anti-government militia. She needs to come up with a good story; she can’t negate seeing her parents. She should say that she was trying to prevent Randal from harm, and not deviate from the story, no matter what. She tells Alex she was never there. Alex thanks her ,and they hug. (I guess Esperanza doesn’t realize Lushion is two houses away?)

Alex wipes her tears away.

Kelly can’t get in to see the attorney because he had an emergency. She asks if there’s someone else they can recommend; she can only come on her lunch break and needs to file the restraining order. She says it’s urgent, and the secretary says she’ll phone in the morning. Totally unrealistic, since I’m sure they would steer her to someone else. She has to get to Justice’s game, and asks for security to walk her to her car. She calls Justice, but he says the other team had to forfeit, so the game was canceled. He tells her that Travis is giving him a ride home. Kelly stares in silence at the phone.

Next time, Diane comes to Kelly’s office, Louise suggests that Alex could have cheated on Randal, and Lushion talks to Alex.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills – The Reunion, Part One

Kyle gives Dorit the skinny on reunions. Along with her gorgeous German Shepherd. Dorit realizes she’ll have to put her big girl panties on. To change it up a little, we get pre-reunion observations from the women in their home settings. We also get mini flash forwards. Next is the getting ready. LisaV tells Andy not to be mean.

And so we begin. Hmm…I’m not crazy about Eileen’s outfit. The outfits as a whole aren’t that dazzling, except for LisaV, Dorit and Erika. LisaR and Erika are wearing the same shoes, and Lisa informs us that she’s not wearing underwear. Andy talks about people on social media calling Dorit “Doritos,” and she says with a name like hers, she’s used to it. Everyone talks about how their names have been made fun of. Andy asks Erika about being chosen for Dancing with the Stars, which at this point, hadn’t started filming yet. LisaR says it’s about pacing yourself, and thinks Erika can go all the way. She has the same dance partner that LisaV did, and they joke about that.

We jump right in, with Andy talking about how Dorit called Erika “cold.” We flash back to various interactions between the two of them. I just know it’s coming – Pantygate. We end up with the Hong Kong dinner where Erika lost it. The T-shirt dress is discussed. Oh, for God’s sake. A fan thinks Dorit wanted to pick a fight with Erika from day one, but Dorit says they got off on the wrong foot, and it wasn’t her intention. The first Pantygate mention is dropped, and Dorit says it was meant to be playful. Erika says there’s a bit of truth in all kidding, and that’s how you get away with sh*t. I tend to agree, but the reactions to that went way overboard and for way too long.

Dorit says you can’t live a life walking on eggshells. Andy asks LisaV if Erika is being fair in saying Dorit talks sh*t, and Lisa says in all fairness, Dorit does talk a lot. Andy asks Eileen about Erika’s reaction to her saying that it’s not like Dorit killed her child, and Eileen says she didn’t feel personally attacked. She realized something else was going on. Erika says she didn’t want to break down like that, but it is something she thinks about occasionally, with her son being a police officer. We find out that Erika leant Eileen her glam squad as a peace offering. LisaR says meltdowns happen, and Kyle says it was like someone took over Erika’s body. They agree they all felt bad for Eileen.

Andy asks Erika about being the mom of a police officer. She says you know anything is possible. She doesn’t want to make a big deal about it, but she does get scared. He lives with her, and only when he pulls up after work, can she relax. She says he gets ribbed at work about the show. They talk about her sensitivity, and how she reveals herself slowly. Kyle says being sensitive can make you extra guarded. They discuss Erika’s trip home, and when her mother apologized for being hard on her as a child. We see a part of their conversation we hadn’t seen before. LisaV asks if Erika went the opposite in raising her son. Lisa says her parents weren’t demonstrative, so she lavished affection on her children. Erika says that her mother was loving, but made her grow up quickly. She talks about still giving her son hugs and kisses, and how much he hates it.

Andy says that LisaV, LisaR, and Eileen tried to co-exist, but it didn’t always turn out well. What a stupid choice of words. We flash back to some of their interactions. Part of the problem with these reunions is that they bring back old stuff people have gotten past, they relive the moment, and get pissed off all over again. Eileen says she was right about LisaV not being so nice. They talk about the Yulan documentary. Eileen says she wanted to bridge the gap by going with Lisa to watch it, and Lisa says there was a connection. Andy asks if it brings LisaV joy to see LisaR in the hot seat, and she says Andy likes it more. Nice return. Kyle thinks she does a little. LisaV says she likes a lot about LisaR, although sometimes she wants to strangle her. LisaR says that she’d thought they were cool when she was invited on the Hong Kong trip, and LisaV says a lot of things came up in Hong Kong. We flash back to LisaR being an idiot at the dinner. LisaR says they had a powerful moment, and they start talking about a mutual friend who passed away. Andy says he feels like they’re on the path to good things. He’s a regular Papa Hemingway tonight.

We move on to Dorit’s accent, and flash back to some Dorit moments. Andy asks why Boy George lives with them. She says she has a big house and extra room, and he lands there between gigs. (At one time, PK was his manager.) They talk about the flack she’s gotten for her parenting, and how many domestic helpers she has. Kyle says she never had s nanny, but it depends on the parent’s working life, so she’d never judge anyone. Dorit speaks Hebrew, Italian, Spanish and English fluently, and somehow, we go back to the accent thing. LisaR has to be shown the video to be reminded she called Dorit’s accent fake. Andy tries to stir the pot, but it doesn’t happen.

PK is going to join them. Andy asks how Dorit feels. She hopes the women don’t attack him, and that he gets to have his say. Andy asks how Erika feels, and she says it’s not her show. Alrighty then.

We get a glimpse of the Beverly Hills lifestyle, and flash back to various shopping trips, vacations, parties, and purchases. Andy asks if any of them will wear tonight’s outfits again, but most of them say no. Kyle has a section of her closet devoted to scary moments on the show. Andy suggests a clothing museum. We revisit Dorit’s $230,000 Bentley. They talk expensive cars for a while. We find out that Erika’s glam squad flies business class. Well, unless they’re on the private jet.

We see a little of PK behind the scenes. Dorit tells him to just be himself. Andy asks how he feels, and he says a bit nervous. We find out his name is Paul. Andy asks how he got so rich, and he says he started richer in real estate. Andy asks if his nosiness is natural or is he getting involved where he doesn’t belong, and he says maybe 50/50. And here it comes…

We flash back to the source of Pantygate, and see clips from its formation. Andy stupidly asks why it makes Erika uncomfortable, and she says the whole thing is embarrassing. Dorit has to insist once again that she didn’t think Erika did it on purpose, because for some reason, Erika is deaf to those words. Dorit says it was like saying don’t talk about a pink elephant in the room, and Andy – once again the soul of eloquence – asks if she’s comparing Erika’s who-ha to a pink elephant. Kyle says Erika was asked if she was wearing underwear, and didn’t volunteer the information. Well, really she did. Kinda. Erika says it’s gone on too long. PK says it wasn’t like he sat there and stared. LisaV says she didn’t think it would be such a big deal, since Erika wears a c-word necklace. Erika says that’s different than being told that you’re doing something like that on purpose. Because again she can’t hear that no one ever said that. If they had, we’d have seen the video ten times already. PK tells Erika not to call his wife a nasty person, and she says she’s not. She’s calling PK a nasty person for what he said.

Next time, round part two, LisaR again asks if people were doing coke at Dorit’s dinner party, Kim joins the group and tells Eden not to take her inventory, Erika tells Dorit to get the f out of here, and LisaR walks out.

🎭 Tonight, was the Imposters finale. If you haven’t been watching, I highly suggest you marathon this on On Demand. It’s fun and flirty, with a plot of twists and turns. In the final episode of the season, we got a glimpse of Maddie’s past and saw her first con. At the end, almost every character got conned as well, and Uma Thurman made a brief appearance. While there was promise of more intrigue to come, to date, Imposters hasn’t been renewed or canceled. I’m hoping for a second season. This show is like a breath of fresh air.

🚤 Below Deck Mediterranean starts Tuesday, May 2nd at 9 pm, and will have female captain this season. Although I’m looking forward to the new shows, I’ll miss Captain Lee.

December 14, 2016 – Griff Confirms Lulu’s Motherhood & Some Random Notes

Standard

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Sam visits Maxie at the office. She’s in her third trimester. That was fast. Maxie is going to throw her the baby shower to end all baby showers.

Lulu asks Griff if Valentin was telling the truth.

Ava sets Julian up in the penthouse. She’s glad he’s still in the land of the living. Alexis shows up, and Ava tells her not to wander around, poking in her things. Alexis says she’s not interested in Ava’s things. Ava says she doesn’t agree with Alexis being Julian’s caretaker and is keeping an eye on her. Ava suggests Bloody Marys, but Alexis says that she’ll not only put Julian in a coma, it’s pretty early for cocktails, which is pretty funny coming from her.

Nell brings a box of ornaments over to Sonny’s. She says she’s glad that he and Carly are on better terms.

At the MetroCourt, Curtis tells Jason that everything in the bag could have been used to make the bomb. Jason says too bad it was wiped clean. Curtis isn’t happy about what he had to do to get it, but Jason says it might have told them more than he realized. Carly brings them coffee. She asks Jason again what’s going on, telling him he’s distant. He flashes back to Sonny’s confession about Nell. Carly asks if something has happened.

Ava says she was just talking about a small celebratory toast. She suggests that Alexis use her self-righteous indignation to help find the person who hit Julian. Alexis reiterates that if she mixes the pain meds with alcohol, she could kill Julian, and tells her to read the medical instructions. She bypasses the vodka bottle and goes into the hallway. She says she can’t do this, but if she doesn’t, she’ll lose her license. She repeats this mantra as she pours a vodka nip into her takeout coffee.

Nell asks if Sonny wants her to help hang the ornaments. Sonny says Carly loves Christmas. She was raised by an adoptive mother and when she had a family of her own, she wanted to do it right. Sonny says they’ve spent a lot of Christmases together and Nell says looks like they’ll be spending another one this year.

Curtis says Carly just caught them at a bad time. She tells Jason she’ll see him later, reminding him that this time of year should be spent with family and friends. She leans over and tells him if something is wrong, she’s going to figure it out. Curtis asks Jason what’s up, and he says maybe they’ve been going about it all wrong. Maybe the bag itself has what they need on it.

Griff says they’ll have answers yet, but they will soon. He says this is one for the record books. Lulu thanks him for trying to protect Charlotte from Valentin. He says no matter what, the back and forth has to end. The tests are being conducted blindly by two separate groups.

Sam tells Maxie she doesn’t have to throw her a shower. Maxie promises she’ll like it when she gets all the presents. She says it’s also for Sam, since she thought she couldn’t have any more children. Sam says she was blown away when Finn told her. Maxie says everyone is thrilled. Sam drops her purse and an envelope falls out. Maxie asks what it is and Sam says it’s a secret from Dr. Lee.

Alexis flashes back on the accident, and I laugh one more time at Julian flying up in the air. She says she just needs to get through this and has more “coffee.”

Julian tells Ava that he doesn’t want to be referee, and to stop taking pot shots at Alexis. Ava says he should call the police, and he repeats it was an accident. She says he must have more on Alexis than he’s saying. Everyone has a blind spot, and his is Alexis. She asks him to please let her help him and tell her what’s really going on.

Alexis chugs her coffee and goes back in. Julian is sleeping. Ava says that Alexis might have Julian fooled, but she knows the truth.

Curtis says if there’s more dumpster diving, Jason is on his own. Jason says maybe they can find out where the bag came from. Curtis is pretty sure every Chinese food place in the country has the same bag, but there’s an address on it, and Jason says it’s worth a shot. Curtis says okay, but no more dumpsters.

Nell asks Sonny if he’s okay with her doing this. Trimming the tree is a family thing and if Carly finds out what happened between them… Sonny says she won’t. Nell says it will stay between them. Carly comes in and says the tree looks beautiful. She starts to put on ornaments and asks Sonny if he wants to help. He tells her she does a great job, but she says that sounds like an excuse to stand around and do nothing. I’m totally with her on this, as my husband does the same thing to me, telling me how good I am at something he doesn’t feel like doing. She hands Sonny an angel.

Alexis says she doesn’t know what Ava is talking about, and is too tired to decode her rants. Ava says that Alexis thinks she covered her tracks, but she knows why Alexis is there. Alexis says vague accusations only work in old detective novels. Ava says okay, you ran over my brother. She says Julian told her. Julian wakes up.

Carly goes down Memory Lane with the ornaments. Her phone rings. It’s someone from Atlanta. She says yes, Nell is her assistant. She asks Sonny if he wrote a recommendation for Nell to get a job in Atlanta.

Jason and Curtis go to the Chinese food place. But it’s a pawn shop. Jason asks the proprietor if it used to be a Chinese restaurant, and he says it closed a while ago. He asks if either one of them would like jewelry for their ladies. Jason asks if the guy could look at some photos. He shows him Julian’s picture, but he doesn’t recognize him. He shows more pictures, and also the tools they found in the bag, but it’s a no. The guy says he does recognize the bag though.

Sam explains that the doctor wrote down the sex of the baby, but she and Jason don’t want to know. Maxie tells her that’s old-fashioned. She says if Sam didn’t want to know, she wouldn’t be carrying it around. She tells Sam about how she named Georgie early and talked to her. She asks Sam how she’s going to decorate the baby’s room and what about Danny? Sam says he’s curious about Scout, and wanted a puppy, but is settling for a sibling. She says they’ll know when the time is right. Sam goes to take a call and Maxie brings out the envelope again.

Lulu thanks Dante for coming with her to the hospital. She says she knows how much he loves her, but also knows it’s hard on him in a different way, since she had a daughter with another man. She says despite Helena, Charlotte is innocent. Dante says Claudette is a liar, and Valentin hasn’t been forthcoming, so they’ll have to wait for the results to know for sure. Griff comes back out.

The pawn shop guy says tons of the bags were left behind, so he uses them. Jason thinks the tools might have been bought there, but the guy doesn’t recall selling them. Curtis asks to look at a watch while Jason wanders around. Jason says they might have something.

Carly says Nell works for her and made no mention of going back to Atlanta. She says she wants to discuss it with Nell before she talks to them about her. She hangs up and says Nell has a well-paying teaching job thanks to Sonny. She wants to know what’s going on and why no one talked to her. Nell says it’s just a misunderstanding. She was talking about being a teacher in the future, but Sonny thought she meant now. She says Sonny wanted to do something for her because she’s been so helpful to Carly, but she’s not going. Carly doesn’t want her to give up on her dream. Nell thanks her, but says she already feels like this is her real home. Cut to Sonny who does not look happy.

Griff tells Lulu she’s Charlotte’s mother. Dante asks if Valentin is the father for sure, and Griff says without question. Lulu says it’s like a dream, but it’s real. The man who killed her brother, the man who she hates so much, is the reason she has a daughter.

Ava tells Alexis she belongs behind bars. She asks if Alexis is so worried about getting her precious license back that she’d actually take care of Julian. Ava says she’s shocked that with all her self-righteousness, Alexis didn’t cop to it immediately. Julian tells her to stop it, and says everything stays between them. Alexis says she showed bad judgement, but the bottom line is that she has to stay with Julian until he’s convalesced, and that’s what she’s doing. Ava says there’s something about the night Alexis isn’t telling them, otherwise it makes no sense. Alexis says she’s going to the store. Ava tries to stop her, and the bottle falls out of her purse.

Nell says she loves the kids, but she finds working for Carly more interesting. She talks about going with Michael to the gala, and how he changed his outfit for her. Carly tells Sonny that Michael is thoughtful; her, not so much lately. Sonny says it’s time to move on, and he’s looking forward to Christmas together with the family.

Jason says the tool set seems to be missing a tool. The guy says it’s a pawn shop and not everything comes with a full set. Jason says it’s curious how a homeless man ended up with one of the bags. Pawn shop guy says he could have gotten the bag from anywhere, and he doesn’t recognize the photo. Jason takes the wire clippers out of his bag, and they fit in the empty spot in the took kit.

Sam thanks Maxie for the offer, but Maxie is insistent and Sam realizes she just wants to throw a party. She tells her no baby shower games, and goes down in the elevator. Maxie says there will be a surprise and she knows just what to do with this (meaning the envelope, which she still has).

Ava says Alexis was drinking that night, but Alexis says she collects them when she flies. Ava says she’s endlessly judging, but the truth is, she drove drunk. She says Julian might be willing to enable her, but she isn’t. She’s going to cops and telling them the truth. She can’t wait to see Alexis in prison.

Lulu is aghast that she shares a child with Valentin. Dante says they have to prepare for a custody battle. Griff says Charlotte is lucky to have Lulu as a mother, and goes back to work. Dante tries to get ahold of Diane. Lulu says before they call, she needs to know about them. She says whenever they’ve talked about the embryo, it’s been hypothetical, but it’s not anymore. She wants to know if he’s with her in this, and if he can love Charlotte like a father.

Carly doesn’t want to jinx anything, but thinks she and Sonny have a shot at making this Christmas about love and honoring Morgan. Avery cries and Carly goes upstairs.

Pawn shop guy doesn’t know what to tell them. Jason says he hasn’t told them anything, but they’re not leaving until he does. Curtis says he’s told them a bunch of lies, but he’s easy-going and can look past it. Jason can’t though. Jason says the wire cutters were involved in a serious crime, and someone he loved died. He suggests that if the guy doesn’t want to join that person, he start telling them what they need to know. A security camera films the exchange.

Tomorrow, Olivia talks to Dante about his pending fatherhood, Nina asks why Valentin is lying to her, and Jordan visits Julian.

Sad news – there will be no Below Deck reunion this season.

🏖 Good news? Ah-ha! Now I see why those twins made friends with Stassi, and we saw them on Vanderpump Rules. A new show is coming up called Summer House. Stassi is barely in the commercials, but I saw her, and the twins are more prominently featured. It looks like The Real World with people ten years older. While I can somewhat excuse the hot tub drunken sex behavior on The Real World considering the age of the participants, this looks very unattractive. I also heard that the town of Montauk is not happy. Apparently, they’re making it sound like Montauk is a party town when the house isn’t even located there. Nobody wants another Jersey Shore on their hands.

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Sonny tells Carly he couldn’t find the gifts. She tells him he was looking on the wrong side of the bed.

Michael asks Nell if they’re still on for the gala, which he just asked her to five minutes ago. Kiki walks into the office.

In the parking garage, Jason peels the name off the side of the van. Underneath, it says Derek Wells Media, which is Julian’s company. The light bulb comes on over Jason’s head.

Alexis tells Julian that he’s blackmailing her, but he calls it tough love. She sarcastically tells him his concern for the greater good is one of his finest qualities. He tells her that the ethics committee is the least of her concerns. Jordan has been nosing around about the hit and run. Alexis finds it ironic that he’s threatening to involve police. Sam sees Alexis in Julian’s room and asks her what she’s doing there.

Charlotte tells Santa that she wants her mommy for Christmas. She and Lulu lock eyes. Laura asks if Lulu found Rocco’s Christmas list. She asks who the little girl is, and Dante tells her. He asks if Lulu has met her. She says no, she hasn’t.

Carly digs the gifts out from under the bed and goes back downstairs. Sonny looks at the photo of them together and then at the necklace.

Michael tells Kiki that Nell agreed to come to the Toys for Tots benefit with him. Kiki says she’s there to pick up her final paycheck. Michael wonders what happened, and Kiki tells him that she and Carly came to an understanding. Michael tells her good luck with whatever’s next, and tells Nell he’ll text her with the details. When he leaves, Kiki is like, you and Michael?

Carly is on her phone, and tells Sonny that for a season of love and good cheer, people can be very demanding. This is a surprise? Sonny suggests Olivia take some of the load. Carly says she’ll be sure to tell Olivia that it was his idea.

Curtis tells Jason that this could mean a few things, and they kick around a few scenarios. They decide to damage the van and then pretend to be concerned, responsible citizens who want to pay for the damage. Jason bashes the van with a crowbar.

Julian tells Sam that he asked Alexis to come. Sam asks what reason Alexis could have for seeing the man who tried to kill her.

Valentin introduces Charlotte to Rocco and they go off for cookies. He tells Dante and Lulu that their children have taken a shine to each other. Lulu doesn’t look pleased.

Michael stops by Sonny’s and they talk about celebrating Christmas early with Josslyn. Carly thanks Sonny for helping her, and he thanks her for coming by. Michael asks Carly if she can spare Nell on the 12th.

Nell tells Kiki that there’s nothing going on between her and Michael. She thinks he just took pity on her and wanted her to have a night out. Kiki says he’s thoughtful and starts to say something else, but stops. She tells Nell that they had a brief relationship, but they broke up because she hurt him and she went back to Morgan. She says she was keeping a huge secret from him.

Dante tells Valentin to back off, but Nina says this is for the kids. Laura thinks that Nina should ask Valentin to leave, but Doc suggests radical acceptance. He says that you can’t control the situation, but you can control your attitude and where you put your focus. Lulu talks to Charlotte. She starts asking Charlotte questions, but Nina says the only question Charlotte should be answering is what she wants for Christmas.

Alexis tells Sam that she thought it might be her last chance to tell Julian to go to hell. Sam says now that she knows Julian is going to live, can they go? Alexis says they’re done, and she and Sam leave. In the hallway, Sam asks Alexis if she’s all right. Alexis says she’s somewhere between yay he’s out of her life, and at least he didn’t hold a knife to her throat. Sam says she has the feeling there’s something else. Alexis says she doesn’t know what she’s doing half the time, but she’s done with Julian. Sam goes down in the elevator.

Laura steers Santa to the kids. Nina says if Lulu and Dante have a problem with Valentin, fine, but it doesn’t give them the right to interrogate his daughter. Valentin says he loves Charlotte the same way they love their children. He suggests a playdate and Dante is like, no. Nina wants to get Valentin and Charlotte some hot chocolate, and they leave together. Dante asks Lulu what’s up with that?

The driver shows up and asks Jason and Curtis if they’re the idiots who messed up the van. They claim they were arguing over a Bill’s game and it got out of control. The driver says his boss is going to be mad, and they’re going to have to pay for it. Curtis says they want to talk to him about his boss, and asks if it’s Julian.

Michael explains about taking Nell to the gala, and Carly thinks it’s a fine idea. She leaves, and Michael asks Sonny about her visit. Sonny says he doesn’t know what she’s feeling, and Michael says it looks like a start of the thaw. Sonny asks if Michael is interested in Nell.

Nell asks what secret Kiki kept from Michael. Kiki says it had to do with their parents, but Michael deserves someone who treats him better than she did. Nell gives her the check, and says that Kiki is taking it well. Kiki says it was time to leave. Nell says it would be understandable if there were hard feelings.

Kiki says she has no hard feelings. She asks Nell if she told Carly about their conversation regarding her breaking up with Morgan. Nell says she didn’t say anything, and Kiki tells her that both Carly and Michael knew about her plans and were furious at first, but now they’re being kind. They’ll never forget though, and she doesn’t blame them. She says the loss and hurt stay with you. Nell agrees.

Michael tells Sonny that he and Nell are just friends. He says he’s sorry that he didn’t take better care of Sonny, but Nell pinch-hit and he wants to return the favor.

The driver thinks Curtis and Jason are cops because they’re asking about Julian. Curtis says his partner is crazy and took his anger out on the van with a tire iron. Jason says he used to do what he was told. but one morning woke up with a chip in his brain, and now gets urges to hit something or someone until the voices go away. He suggests the driver tell them what he knows about Julian.

Julian says, back so soon? to Alexis and she tells him drop dead. He says had she hit someone else, they might not be so understanding. He says he’s not trying to extort anything from her (no, just her time and emotion) or have her do criminal acts; he just wants her to help him.

Laura tells Santa he has a five-minute break and closes the door. He asks what she’d like for Christmas. She wonders if it’s cliche to say world peace. He says that’s out of his league. She says peace of mind then, and he says he can work with that. She asks what’s going on with Charlotte. He tells Laura that she’s well-adjusted considering the upheaval. Laura says she also adores her father, and has no idea what Valentin is capable of.

Valentin and Nina have taken Charlotte to Kelly’s. Nina has Charlotte go to pick out a cookie, and Valentin thanks Nina for her interception. She says he could have held his own with Lulu. He says when someone puts that much energy into not liking you, you have to walk on egg shells. Nina wonders why Lulu wants to get so involved, and says they have to protect Charlotte.

Sam and Molly enter Kelly’s. Sam sees Valentin and stops short. She tells Molly who Valentin is.

Lulu tells Dante that when she saw Charlotte, something came over her. She was immediately drawn to her and can’t explain it. Dante says he thinks he can.

Carly tells Nell sorry she’s late and that it’s been a stressful day. She says she went to see Sonny. Nell asks how he seemed, and Carly says distracted. She tells Nell that she gave her the night off for the gala, and she’s glad Michael has a friend like her.

Michael thinks Sonny and Carly’s relationship is getting better, and that Carly came there to see him, no matter what excuse she gave. He says it’s only a matter of time before they’re back together, and she doesn’t want to punish him for something he didn’t do.

Dante tells Lulu that Charlotte has been bounced around like a pinball. Lulu says that she also recently found out they lost their chance to have another child. Dante tells her that she’s a caring person and Charlotte has been through a lot, so her instincts kicked in; she wants to protect Charlotte. Lulu says she’s sure he must be right, but I’m not buying that she believes it.

Valentin tells Nina how lovely she looks. He mentions that she said “we” need to take care of Charlotte. She apologizes for the presumption, but he says it means the world to him. Nina tells him that she’s completely taken with Charlotte and her adorableness. She says it’s no secret that she wants a child, but this has nothing to do with that; she wants what’s best for her. Valentin says he’s thanking his lucky stars. He could have easily walked past Nina the night they met in the hotel. There was something about her though. She’s charming and beautiful, but it’s more than that. Most people have an agenda, but she’s honest about who she is and what she wants, and he likes her.

Outside Kelly’s, Molly tells Sam that she wants to give Valentin a piece of her mind. Sam says he’ll just say it’s a misunderstanding and besides, they have their own family issues to deal with. She tells Molly that Alexis was visiting Julian, and she’s not believing the reason. She thinks Alexis still has a soft spot for him.

Alexis asks Julian what he wants help with. He says he’ll need it when he gets home from the hospital, and she says they have nurses for that. He says he’ll need help with things like shaving, brushing his teeth, and showering. Um…I think they do that too. Alexis asks if this is his ultimate form of punishment, for her to spend every waking hour with him. He says she didn’t used to feel like that, and she says holding a knife to someone’s throat ruins a relationship. He tells her that if anyone finds out she’s the one who hit him, she won’t only lose her license, she’ll lose her freedom.

Jason wants to know what happened the night of the bomb. The driver says it was his assignment to park there. His boss Julian told him to do it.

Nell asks if Carly is worried about Sonny. Carly says there’s something on his mind, and now that she knows he’s not responsible for Morgan’s death… Nell says she thinks they belong together. Nell’s phone rings. It’s Sonny. He tells Nell they need to talk.

Doc tells Laura that Valentin might have been right in saying they’ll always be connected. He says Charlotte is Nicholas’s cousin. Laura says Nicholas is gone, and there’s no more connection. She adds that as much as she hates being involved with Valentin, part of her feels compelled to look out for Charlotte because she is Nicholas’s family, making her part of Laura’s family as well. Doc says she has amazing generosity of spirit and it’s one of the reasons he loves her. A kid bangs on the door saying Santa’s break is over.

Dante asks if Lulu is okay. She says it’s something about Charlotte, and then says never mind.

Nina tells Valentin that she was thinking about Charlotte’s Christmas wish. She says not even a purple unicorn can make up for missing your mother. He says between them, they can make a fine Christmas for her. I’d love to see some kind of A Christmas Carol story with this bunch.

Molly thinks maybe Alexis can get some closure in seeing Julian. Sam says Julian is a narcissist who is encouraged by any attention. Molly says it’s better than Alexis starting to thaw (theme for today). Sam hopes that Alexis knows what she’s doing.

Julian asks Alexis if they have a deal. Alexis says fine. She says no one will believe it though, since everyone knows how much she hates his guts, but he says she can make something up. She says she’s figured it out and they have a deal. That was fast.

Curtis tells Jason that the psycho act was great. The driver is most likely in Canada by now. Jason says he’s probably more worried about Julian than him. Jason says it won’t take long for Julian to figure things out, and Curtis says Julian planted the bomb in his own car. Just in case we haven’t been paying attention.

Tomorrow, Anna asks Andre for help, Lulu wants to know why she feels so strongly about Charlotte, and a gathering happens on Spoon Island.

Below Deck

I’ve decided Ben is kind of an a-hole, which is too bad because I liked him up until now. Anyone who blames someone else for how they act is just, no.

Kate complains to Ben about the stews taking breaks before their work is done. Sierra gets offended because anyone born after 1985 gets offended by just about anything. Kate says it isn’t that they don’t have an amazing team, she just wants them to hit it out of the park for the last charter. When the guests leave, the boat has to look perfect. Ben thinks Kate should be more respectful of people’s breaks. By that I assume he means Emily’s breaks.

Dawn and her guests are doing the snorkeling thing. Nico and Kyle just want to get finished. Kyle says Sierra is an idiot, and Nico points out that he thought she was cool before he found out that she wasn’t into him. Lauren and Kyle talk about hating the job until it’s over; then they love it. In her interview, Lauren says no matter how much they bicker, the crew really loves each other. Um…I dunno about that. Nico says Sierra and Kyle’s fight has nothing to do with him, the same way his altercations with Kate have nothing to do with Kyle, who thinks Kate is awesome.

Sierra has to get a hug from Emily because, see above. She thinks Kate is just looking for things to criticize them about. Emily and Ben chat about finally getting sprung. In her interview, Emily says they’ll see how it goes, as far as having a relationship on the outside. Ha-ha! I’m making it sound like they’re in jail.

Kate encourages Ben to have the food ready when the guests get back. He disagrees, saying they usually want to have a shower and cocktail first. He asks Emily what she thinks because she has so much experience. Emily doesn’t really want to get involved. Ben tells Kate that he’s the chef and calling the shots. He claims he has a valid reason. Kate tries to talk, but he says he’s going to do what he wants anyway. See what I mean?

The guests get back. They’re hungry. Kate tells Ben they’re starving. Captain Lee announces only 16 more hours left. Kate brings out the food and Dawn asks if the captain would like to join them for dinner. Kate tells Ben to keep the food coming. In his interview, Ben says Kate used to be a pleasure to work with. Kate tells the captain about the guests requesting his presence.

Kelley says they’ve grown as a team and now it’s over. He says they’re a highly dysfunctional family, but they’re a family. They promise to all keep in touch. Yeah, we all know how that goes.

Sierra asks Kate if she thinks they’re not working hard enough. Kate tells her about the lack of toilet paper in the guest bathrooms, which I agree is a huge no-no. She says she’s always given them compliments and doesn’t want to finish on a negative note. She mentions that she isn’t taking a break either. She thinks maybe Sierra needs to talk about something, but Sierra says no. Had your chance.

OMG – dinner! Clams or something. It looks amazing. And shrimp! The captain joins the guests. The guests fire questions at him. I find out that he has five children and is from Michigan. Kate compliments Ben on the calamari. She says she never knows which Ben she’s going to get and he says he’s 50 shades of Ben. Ha-ha! Everyone is happy for the moment. Dessert! Kyle says Ben and Kate either hate or love each other and it’s confusing. Kate tells Ben the worst day with him is better than the best day with some of the other chefs.

Kyle asks if Sierra had a mental breakdown. Kate says she tried to be nice, but felt disrespected. Kyle says he prefers to talk face to face, and doesn’t understand why the stews are so defensive with her. In his interview, Kyle says Kate had his back from day one. Kate says she’s done nothing to Nico and Lauren to warrant them talking behind her back, and they have no business questioning her decisions. She tells Kyle she doesn’t need to hear what the one stripe people think. Oh, snap.

Two hours and twenty-six minutes. Ben says he’s mentally moved on and is already in his apartment. The guests are the only ones who don’t want to leave. The captain thinks the Kelley/Nico team has done well.

The final meal! The blue water! The Jacuzzi! Sierra and Lauren gossip about Kate. Zzzzz….

Anchor is dropped and the ship docks. The guests are ready to go. Good-bys are said. Dawn gets emo with the captain who just wants it to be over. He tells everyone to head for the crew mess. This charter’s tip is 16K. The crew has made a total of $13,500 in tips all season. Captain Lee tells the crew to get the boat in better shape than when they got it.

Kate talks to Lauren and Nico. She says she’s heard what they said about how she’d tattled on them to the captain, but the captain found their mess all on his own. She says she had their back and doesn’t rat out the crew. However, she doesn’t appreciate giving them permission to use the boat and them turning the tables. Nico gets pissed and leaves. Lauren apologizes. In her interview, Kate says she’s disappointed. She says at least talk to her face. Nico complains to Kelley who’s staying out of it.

Ashley shows up, and everyone gets ready to go out. The girls all look super cute. Ben wants to make amends with Kate, since she’s a great friend of his and they’re not working together anymore.

The crew goes to a restaurant and begins to drink. The food looks excellent, and I eat vicariously. Ben and Kate step aside to talk. Emily wonders wtf? She tells Sierra it’s confusing. She doesn’t know where they stand or where she stands with Ben. Sierra suggests she give him a chance and get to know him. She also thinks that Emily should say something.

Sierra asks Ben about his relationship with Kate. He says there’s no need to diagnose it. In his interview, he says now Emily is in the middle of all the emotion, and he doesn’t know how to deal with it. He asks Emily if she wants him to hate Kate forever, and says he’ll be mean to Kate just for her. He says that he and Kate are better off as friends than colleagues, and she brings out a person he doesn’t want to be. He was hoping that Emily had a better grasp of the situation. What I think is that Ben is in love with Kate, and his attraction to Emily has become a problem. Not to mention, Kate is in a relationship.

Kyle comes thisclose to telling Ashley that she completes him. He wants to take things up a notch. He asks Kate for a ring. She’s wearing one that she says is worth two thousand bucks and he says he’ll give her a thousand. Deal. He says he’s proposed once before, but she threw the ring at him the same night. He takes Ashley aside and gets down on one knee. She says yes. Everyone cheers.

Ben acts rude to Kate. She asks if he’s okay. He’s obviously angry. She gives him a drink and he guzzles it. He tells her he doesn’t like working with her anymore. What a jerk he’s become. I hope Emily dumps him, but she’s kind of stupid, so maybe he deserves her. He tells Kate that they’re better off as friends. She says she doesn’t like working with him that much either. She thinks the booze is talking, and she’s tired of hearing it. He says Emily just grilled him about their relationship. Kate tells him that he’s rude, and in her interview, she says that he’s so self-destructive, it’s embarrassing.

Back at the boat, Ashley and Kyle get the guest cabin. Ben gossips with Nico and Lauren. Idiots.

In the morning Ben approaches Kate and apologizes. He says he’s sorry if he ruined her evening. She says it’s typical. He tells her that they’ve come a long way together and he values their friendship. He says he loves her and he’ll always have her back. He asks for a hug, but in her interview, she says the friendship isn’t salvageable.

Lauren tells Nico what great friends they are. Hugs. I think she thinks they’ll still get together one day. Kate says you need a thick skin to work on a boat, and she doesn’t think Sierra has it. Sierra is proud of herself, but thinks she does need to toughen up. Nico and Kelley do the bro thing. Kyle pays Kate for the ring. She expects an invite to the wedding. Kyle can’t wait to have a proper bacon sandwich with HP sauce, which is a brown sauce kind of like Worcestershire.

Kelley tells Kate that he tried to emulate her. In her interview, she thinks he did an amazing job. Kelley talks to the captain, saying he tried to redeem himself, and thinks he did better. I’m not sure by Captain Lee’s face if he’s in agreement, but he says Kelley has progressed incredibly. Kelley is shocked and so am I, and he thanks the captain for his help. Captain Lee says he’d love to work with him again, and Kelley thanks him for the second chance.

Ben apologizes to Emily. He says he felt like a bit of a d*ck. That’s because he was, and more than a bit of. He says she’s the last person he’d want to insult, and he thinks she’s special. In her interview, she says that she’ll give him another chance, but be wary. They kiss. Ben leaves with the flowers and leaves them on the deck so that everyone can trip over them.

In his interview, Ben says that Emily probably hates him, but he’s going to try to make a go of it. She takes a rose out of the flowers. Ben says being in a relationship and doing his job was probably more than he could chew, but he did it, and was a solid seven. By my estimation, he was more like a shaky three.

Kate says good by to the captain. As she leaves, he tells her that she still looks like a guest more than the chief stew.

Captain Lee says this season was tough. We flash back to some of the highlights. He says the bottom line is that the guests left happy and they made a ton of money. Without a doubt, he has the best damn job in the world.

This was the finale. They usually have a reunion, but as of the last one, hadn’t been elevated out of the clubhouse yet.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Kyle’s closet is everything. LisaV calls. They’re planning on meeting at PUMP, and Kyle jokes as to whether they allow the wearing of Birkenstocks (at least I think she’s joking), and asks who’s going to be there. She doesn’t know the couple, but says Boy George loves them. Kyle is friendly with him and says everybody knows everybody in Beverly Hills.

Erika discusses her new song with husband Tom. It’s at number eight, and she says her career is growing. He says he wants to give her a birthday present early. She’s have a big blowout for her 45th. In her interview, she jokes (again, I’m not positive) that it’s all downhill from here. I have news for her. That’s 55 when the slide starts. Tom says she has things for her fingers and ears, but he’s giving her something for her eyes. A Chagall. Eh. It’s okay. She asks if it’s hers or theirs since Chagall is one of his favorites. To be on the safe side, he gives her something else. He gives her an envelope. She asks if it’s a legal doc, but inside there’s a picture of a Cartier panther ring that he has on order.

Harrison! With LisaV, but where’s my Giggy? Giggy! Ken has him. Harrison is a rescue that Lisa is having a passionate affair with. New Housewife Dorit and her husband PK join them at PUMP, along with Kyle and Mauricio. Dorit’s husband is a talent manager who manages Boy George. Dorit says he’s been living with them for a while and is like her gay husband. She tells the group about how she met her husband.

Kyle brings up Erika’s birthday party. Lisa talks about how she and Dorit first met. They talk about Dubai. Ken says he felt like he was there from all the weepy phone calls he got from Lisa. In her interview, Lisa talks about how miserable she was during the trip, being grilled by LisaR. She says that LisaR was unusually aggressive, and Eileen backed her up. In her interview, Kyle says LisaV hangs on to things a long time, but doesn’t think she’s losing any sleep over it.

Harry brings LisaR a new car. It has one of those bows on it. She says this year is about having a good time. Last year was kind of negative. Her father passed away recently and it changed her outlook on everything. She says that she doesn’t have time to worry about old stuff and wants to concentrate on raising her daughters. She doesn’t have time for bullsh*t anymore. I’ll bet she lasts a whole five minutes.

Eileen meets Erika at a bar. Eileen says that Erika might have a flashy persona, but she’s a girl’s girl. Eileen lost her mother just prior to the reunion, but hasn’t really said anything about it. She tells Erika that it’s affected everything that happened last season, making it trivial. Kyle joins them. They discuss Yolanda, who says that she’s 75% better, but taking time to rest, recover, and look after herself. Kyle is working on her new TV show, and they’re deep into casting right now.

Kyle wonders if the two Lisas are going to be okay eventually. Erika says everything can be worked out if everybody wants to work it out. I guess that’s pretty much true for any conflict. Kyle says she never wants to hear bi-polar, manipulative, Munchhausen, own it, or sniper again. I agree, especially Munchhausen.

Dorit is getting her makeup done, while PK’s assistant discusses their schedule. Dorit wants to make sure there’s time for the kids. Boy George comes in. She says in their house he’s more like Uncle George, but diva does come out occasionally. They’re getting ready to do Jimmy Kimmel‘s show.

Erika is having a Studio 54 party for her birthday. Disco balls are everywhere, and there’s going to be a velvet rope with Pussy Control manning the door. We flash back to LisaV’s Poison Arrow video. Lisa says the end of the 80’s marked the end of her single life. In her interview, LisaR talks about Iman being at Studio 54, and everyone goes down 80’s Memory Lane.

LisaV and Kyle meet for a kiki at Dorit’s house. Giggy! Kyle talks about hanging out with Andy Warhol and Rick James as a kid, because her mother didn’t follow the rules.

I want to have a fabulous 80’s party just like this one, but I don’t think Tom will fund the bill for me. Erika gets crazy over everyone’s outfits. She opens her gift from Eileen. It’s a part on Eileen’s show, The Young and the Restless. Coolest. Present. Ever. Erika is worried that they’ll fire Eileen if she sucks. They talk about the soaps.

LisaV introduces Dorit. Lisa asks Tom if he’s wearing something Studio 54 under his suit. I gotta say, Tom seems like a really nice guy, and he and Erika are obviously in love. Eileen and LisaR discuss LisaV. LisaR says she’d rather be better than bitter. Yeah, we’ll see. Dorit says she considers herself a New Yorker, but she’s lived all over the place. In her interview, she says Beverly Hills is a little too much carrot juice and Botox. Agreed. She invites Erika to her upcoming birthday party.

The two Lisas meet, and the conversation is stilted. In her interview, LisaV says that LisaR changed the dynamic of their relationship, and they’d have to do a lot of work to get it back to where it was. Eileen says anything is possible. Look what happened after the Viet Nam war, everyone goes there for vacation now.

The guests mingle and dance. Mauricio talks to Tom about the plane he just bought. Tom brings out another present for Erika – her mother. Erika introduces her mom around. In her interview, Erika talks about her mother having her at 18, and her father leaving before she was one-year-old.

Eileen thinks LisaV is giving her the cold shoulder. Dorit invites Eileen and her husband to her party. Dorit is trying to figure out how Eileen is the same woman that Lisa has talked about. Everyone is starving and glad to see the cake come out. It’s cute, layered stars. LisaV says she thinks she saw a deviled egg and should have grabbed it. Erika is thrilled with the evening.

The girls dance. LisaV says that Eileen and LisaR would be happier if she wasn’t in their friend circle, but she’s coming back, stronger than ever.

Next time, Erika hires dancers, LisaV gets a horse, and Dorit’s birthday party happens.

Ladies of London honorable mention. Marissa had the smallest baby ever, but all is well. Caroline #1 seems to be at odds with everyone. I think she has too much time on her hands since Gift Library closed. She needs a job or something else to occupy her. Julie is overwhelmed with running the Mapperton estate. The place is like a small village, and I don’t envy her dealing with the gift shop employees who have worked there since the earth cooled, and are less than helpful. And Caroline #2’s father is very sick with cancer. Since she’s a huge celebrity in Denmark, the press is very interested in her, and while on a trip there with Juliet, she makes the mistake of telling them about his illness when the family is quite private. We also see her OCDness in regard to beds being made correctly.

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Julian has a visitor. He thinks it’s Alexis, but it’s Jordan. She tells him he had internal bleeding and some bone breakage, and just got out of surgery. Isn’t it the doctor’s job to update him on his condition? And why is she allowed to go in there alone when he just had surgery five minutes ago? She asks if he remembers what happened and he says he was hit by a car. She wants to know details, like who hit him.

Molly shows up at Alexis’s house early. She wonders what happened on Thanksgiving. She tells Alexis that she texted five times and there was no response. She wants to know what Alexis was doing out all night.

Finn is looking for Hayden and tells Tracy that it looks like she was out all night. Hayden comes in from the kitchen and wonders what the emergency is.

Obrecht and Franco are having breakfast. His face is in his phone and she tells him that he’s fallen into the mindless obsession of screens. Ha-ha! She wants to know what’s more important than her scintillating conversation. He says Tom Baker.

At the hospital, Bobbie gets flowers from Carly.

Sonny wakes up with Nell next to him. He’s like oh, geez. She says good morning, but it’s not like she’s smiling. Please, please, please don’t tell me she’s going to say he forced himself on her. I won’t be able to take it.

Finn chastises Tracy for telling him Hayden was upstairs. Tracy suggests installing a GPS chip in Hayden. Finn says Hayden’s bed looks like it hasn’t been slept in. Hayden tells him what a shock, since she made her bed after she got up. She says she’s feeling better and wants to go to work, but Finn says her test results came back.

Obrecht confuses Tom Baker with the actor from Dr. Who, and then realizes who Franco is talking about. Franco wonders if he should be judging Tom, but Obrecht says he doesn’t have an illness like Franco did. She says she’s glad he hasn’t risked his freedom by killing Tom, and asks why he’s watching him. The hospital tech has set it up so he can track Tom on his phone.

Alexis tells Molly that she underestimated how hard Thanksgiving would be. She wanted to clear her head and went for drive. She starts to clean things up and drops something. Molly asks if she’s okay, and she says no.

Julian tells Jordan that he remembers going to the bar, but after that, nothing. Jordan says the more details he can give her, the faster she can solve the case. She thinks there might be a connection to the bomb. She says it’s her duty to protect the citizens of Port Charles. even him.

Sonny asks Nell what happened, saying that he doesn’t remember anything. He says he’s been drinking since Morgan died and never blacked out before. He remembers Nell coming over and talking about Morgan. He says he remembers her getting the scotch, and wonders how they wound up sleeping together. Oh-ho! I guess she slipped him something. Maybe that’s why she was messing around with the photos; she was hiding it.

Carly congratulates Bobbie on returning to GH, and says the flowers are also a peace offering for their altercation about Nell. Bobbie says maybe she’s just being judgemental, but she has a bad feeling about Nell. Carly understands about something being too good to be true, but says just because they were lying schemers when they were young, doesn’t mean Nell is. Bobbie promises to wait until something actually happens before reacting.

Sonny is trying to figure it out. He says Nell is lovely and sweet, and no disrespect, but how did they wind up sleeping together? I guess that’s his way of saying she’s not his type. She says she helped him upstairs and put him to bed. She says they were both lonely, and one thing led to another. She starts to cry, and says she’s sorry, she never should have let it happen. He tells her no worries, but she wonders how she can look Carly in the face again.

Obrecht tells Franco to give up his fool’s errand. She says she isn’t Elizabeth’s greatest fan, but reminds him that Elizabeth is already upset about him going after Tom the first time. She takes his phone. She says Tom is a lump and not moving. He’s no threat, and Elizabeth doesn’t need to be rescued.

Elizabeth checks Julian’s vitals. She remembers being in the hospital herself, and he says he’s sorry about what happened with Paul. She says she had friends and family to help her, and he says he does’t have that luxury.

Finn tells Hayden that he’d hoped the antibiotics would help. She says maybe they did, since she’s feeling better. He says she tested positve for the same disease he has.

Nell says Carly is going to be angry and disappointed. She asks Sonny not to tell her. He says Carly will be angry with him, not her, but Nell says she doesn’t want Carly looking at her differently. She starts to cry again, and begs Sonny not to say anything. He tells her not to worry, he won’t. He might not have to. Carly calls to him from downstairs. Sonny says he’ll be right down. He tells Nell to stay put.

Hayden thanks Finn, but she still wants to go to work. He says they need to figure out what happens next. She says he does; she still has to earn a living. Tracy suggests that Hayden take the day off, but she says she’s not dying today, and she’ll see them when she gets back. Tracy asks Finn, now what?

Obrecht says Tom is most likely contemplating the futility of his own existence. Franco says, or his next move. Obrecht insists he’s no threat, but Franco says this guy is practically vibrating that he thinks he’s invincible. She thinks he should wait until Tom makes the first move, but he doesn’t want to take that chance. If he can’t protect Elizabeth within the confines of the law, he’ll do it another way. He says he can’t let anything happen to her and won’t.

Julian asks if he’s going to live, and Elizabeth says it appears so. He asks when he can leave. She tells him that he just got done with surgery and has broken bones. He’s going to need significant care, plus someone to look after him when he gets home. Are you thinking what I’m thinking?

Molly asks Alexis if something else happened. Alexis says the holidays are getting to her and it’s going to be a long month. Molly says it’s the worst month of Alexis’s life, and Alexis is impressed that Molly’s response is both hyperbole and an understatement. Molly says after the new year, Alexis has a chance to get her law life back.

There’s a knock at the door and Alexis says it must be opportunity. Nope, it’s Jordan. She says they need to talk about Julian.

Sonny comes downstairs. Carly says she wanted to check on him and see how he’s doing, since he was stuck by himself on Thanksgiving. He says he’s fine, and she says she also has to ask him a question.

Alexis asks Jordan what Julian has done now. Jordan says he’s in the hospital. She asks if it’s serious, and Jordan says he was hit by a car. Molly hopes he’s dead, I laugh, and Alexis chastises her. Alexis asks if they know who it was, but Jordan says not yet. Molly says if they find out, she’ll help raise money for his defense. She’s a real card today. Jordan says he was having a drink in a bar outside of Port Charles, but has no recollection of the accident. She’s concerned it was another attempt on his life, and wonders if there’s a connection to the car bomb. Alexis says you can never be too careful.

Obrecht tells Franco that he’s actually an honorable man, but until Tom makes a move, he can’t do anything. As if he heard her, Tom makes a move.

Elizabeth sees Hayden banging on the vending machine. She asks if everything is all right.

Sonny asks Carly what’s on her mind, and she asks if Jason has come up with anything in his investigation. Sonny says no leads, but he’s working on it. Carly asks to be kept posted. Sonny repeats what Carly had told him, that whether it was him or not, their son is still dead. Carly says it doesn’t honor him for her to punish Sonny, so she’s going to stop. Great timing, Carly.

Carly apologizes and says Morgan would want them to do better and be kind to each other. She says she spent the day thinking about previous holidays, and they go down Morgan Memory Lane. Carly says she kept staring at the door on Thanksgiving, hoping he would come in. Sonny says he’s the same way. She says Christmas is around the corner. She knows they have to keep up appearances for the kids, but she’ll be going through the same thing he is, so maybe they can look out for each other and make each other feel better.

Tracy tells Finn that could have gone better, but at least Hayden is feeling positive. He says she needs to come back to reality, and that she’s in a state of denial. Tracy says there’s nothing she can do, and too bad he quit GH when he did. Finn says he had no choice. He says what Brad found is keeping him alive, and now it will have to keep Hayden alive too. Tracy asks if he has enough, and he says not even close.

Elizabeth approaches Hayden. She starts to cry, and Elizabeth hugs her.

Alexis thanks Jordan, but doesn’t know how she can help. Jordan says Sonny is a person of interest. She says Alexis and Julian are divorced, but Julian keeps declaring his love, which makes her a target. Jordan tells her to live her life, but be careful. Alexis says she’ll do her best. Jordan leaves, and Molly asks if Alexis is okay, suggesting she needs retail therapy. Alexis keen on crowded stores and bumping up against strangers, but tells Molly to have a good time. As soon as Molly is gone,  Alexis says she isn’t sure if she believes in God, but if He’s up there, thank you. Julian calls, and I wonder if she silently takes back her thanks.

Julian says she didn’t expect to hear from him, did she? She says she heard he’s in the hospital, and asks how he’s feeling. He says he’ll live, but he’s had better days. He wants her to visit him. She says she can’t, but he says she owes him that much.

Tracy wants to check her contacts. She tells Finn that she’ll find the drug he needs in a country where it’s legal, and have it sent. Finn doesn’t want her risking it. She says he’s not in this alone. Finn says he appreciates it, but it’s a problem he needs to solve. He doesn’t want to lose anyone else. Tracy says she doesn’t want to lose him, and he doesn’t want to lose Hayden. He says he’s not resting until he finds a cure.

Franco is agitated, and Obrecht tells him to calm down. He says a predator is on the loose, and wonders if this is how people felt about him. Obrecht says that she imagines some still might. He sees Tom is headed for the hospital.

Hayden says Elizabeth is the last person she wants to be with right now and walks away.

Carly tells Sonny that she can’t imagine how lonely he must be, and he says it’s better than being in a cell. She tells him to call her. She sees the two glasses on the table, and asks who was there with him.

Tomorrow, Carly wants to be honest, Valentin meets with Nina, and Griff asks Nathan about Claudette.

If Loving You is Wrong

We go back to last week’s ending – Randal pleading with Rusty, and Rusty telling him shut up, boy. One of Rusty’s boys smacks Randal with a shovel. Rusty tells them to hurry up and they tell him to keep his pants on. Randal isn’t down for long, and says he can give Rusty money. Rusty asks where he’d get money, and Randal says he’s a doctor. Rusty says there are no Black doctors and no one watching even knows what to say. He insists Randal must be a drug dealer. Randal begs again for Rusty not to hurt his son.

Rusty tells his boys they’re good for nothing, and tells Randal to shut up again. Okay, can we move on? For whatever reason, Rusty’s boys can’t deal with some chain. We hear the baby cry. He’s lying on the front lawn, and Randal moves toward him. Virginia comes onto the porch and tells him that he’d better not. She says he’s going to die. She lights up a cigarette to emphasize how bad she is.

She says she knows he didn’t rape Alex, but he’d better not tell Rusty she said it, and no way is she going to help him. She tells him he should have stuck to his own kind. Randal says they’re in love, and Virginia says Alex doesn’t love him. He says in her heart she does, and Virginia asks why Alex would have come to them for help then. Alex told them he was trying to take the baby from her. She asks him why they would have gone through all this trouble except for her. Randal can’t believe Alex would do something like that.

The baby is crying, and Randal asks if she can at least pick him up. Virginia says she wouldn’t dare; Rusty would knock her sideways. He says he knows she’s not this person, and she asks how he would know who she is. He asks if Rusty was her first love, and then asks if she had to settle for him. Oh, that’s right, he’s a shrink. He says she had big dreams and ended up there. He starts talking about her parents which is always the root of the problem. She asks if Alex told him or is he a witch. He says he just knows people. She calls him a witch in black and says good thing Rusty is going to hang him. She says they’re going to hang him and take him to Alligator Alley and drop his body in, and the boy too. Randal starts to beg agina, but she goes inside.

Rusty tells Randal to back away from the baby like he’s a baby alarm. You are too close to the baby! Step away from the baby!

Meanwhile, back at the station, Steven gets a message from Andrew. He’s out of area, so Steven tells the operator to call Andrew’s cell. She says he’s in good hands; Eddie is with him. She says Eddie went to back him up, but said not to tell Steven. Steven asks if Andrew has Alex with him, and she says she thinks so. She makes calls to both Eddie and Andrew, but they go to voicemail.

At Alex’s house, Kelly paces, and Marcie asks what’s wrong. Kelly returns the question and Marcie says she’s just tired. Kelly says she’s worried about Alex, and wishes someone would get back. Marcie asks who’s on her porch. It’s Travis. Marcie is about to invite him in, but Kelly says no. Kelly makes sure the door is locked, and tells Marcie that Travis is acting strange. She says he broke into her house and he’s been stalking her. Marcie wants her to call the police, but she says she’ll be okay. She wonders if she led him on, and Marcie tells her not to be one of those women who blame themselves, and to call the police. Now. Kelly takes out her phone.

Lushion’s phone rings, and Natalie tells him to answer it. She says Joey has been stable and his phone has been blowing up. He goes into the hallway. It’s Kelly. She asks about Joey, and then says she might need a restraining order. She asks him to keep it between them, and tells him what Travis has been up to and that he’s been acting crazy. He asks if she’s safe, and she says she thinks so. He says he can’t come right now, but he’ll send someone he trusts. She asks if Ramses said anything about leaving, and Lushion says no. She tells him that Travis told her that Ramses was gone for good, like he knew something. Kelly says there was a sign on Ramses’s door saying he went back to Utah, but it seemed weird to her. She asks him to check. Lushion says he has the key and he’ll send it with Officer Rick. Kelly says she’ll pray for Joey, and they hang up. Marcie tells her she did the right thing, and what Travis is doing isn’t okay. Kelly knows Marcie is holding something back and says she’ll spill it eventually.

Lushion calls Steven. He asks Steven to send Rick to Kelly’s, and do a sweep of both of their houses. He can pick up the keys at the hospital. Steven tells Lushion about Andrew, and how he thinks Eddie got involved. Now he can’t get either one on the phone. Lushion says they need to take him down now. They have more than enough to take the whole department down. Steven says he almost has the cartel and they can’t risk it. Lushion says Eddie is running amok, and they don’t even know where Pete is. He says to make sure Michael finds him. Steven asks about Joey, and says they’re going out to Alex’s parents’. Lushion tells him to call it in to FBI headquarters; it’s a kidnapping. Steven says Eddie is already on to him, but Lushion insists. He can’t believe the way his night is going.

Natalie asks what’s going on, and Lushion says nothing. Ha-ha! She says she knows him, and he needs to go take care of whatever. He refuses to leave, and she wants to know what’s up. He tells her about Alex’s parents kidnapping Randal and the baby. He says he’s sending some guys from the FBI. She asks if Eddie is there, and when Lushion says yes, she insists he go. He tells her to call him if there’s any change.

The police arrive. Kelly sees that they’re going to her house, and she peeks out the door. No Travis. Rick introduces himself and asks what the deal is. She says it’s her ex, and explains about Travis breaking into her house. She asks if she’s over-reacting, and Rick says not if he broke in. Duh. She says he’s just a kid and she doesn’t know this side of him. Rick says he’ll make a report, and to call if anything else happens. He’s going to Ramses’s house and Kelly wants to come, but he tells her to stay there.

Rick shines his flashlight in the windows and knocks on the door. He asks if anyone is home and goes inside. He comes back out pretty quickly. Kelly asks if everything is okay and he tells her to get inside immediately. He radios for back-up. Kelly tells Marcie that something happened to Ramses.

Commercial break with important information. The Haves and the Have Nots is back on Tuesday, January 3 at 9 pm.

Rusty’s boys can’t get the boat off the hitch. Rusty goes to get the saw. I guess Rusty’s hitch is rusty.

Randal asks Virginia to pick up the baby, and she says she’s not picking “that thing” up. He says the baby is cold, and she tells him being cold is the least of its worries. She says she’s not touching him or Randal. He says he’ll pay her. She’s another one who can’t fathom that he has money. She asks how much. He says 100 grand. She thinks this over. He asks if she can’t use the money, and she acts like it’s an insult and tells him he has nothing they want.

Virginia goes over to Rusty. It would be really funny if she got the boat unhitched. She tells Rusty that Randal says he has money, 100K. Rusty says Randal is going to die and he doesn’t want anything from him. He sees Randal moving toward the baby and kicks him. A police car drives in. It’s Alex.

Virginia gives Rusty his gun and Alex tells them to give her the child. Randal calls to Alex and Rusty fires a shot near him. Alex says she’s not going without her baby. Virginia says that Alex laid with that trash and now she’s saying please. She says it’s a sin before God and she can’t love the baby. They have to let him die so she can get forgiveness and go to heaven. Alex tells Rusty she’s sorry. Rusty tells her to put a bullet in Randal’s head. Virginia tells Rusty not to trust her, but he says she’s his daughter. Alex says she can’t, and he says she’s not sorry then. He says she brought this to them. She says she’s sorry, and he asks what she’s sorry for. She says she’s sorry she slept with Randal. Rusty is like, what? and she says she’s sorry she let him rape her.

Randal protests, and Alex pops him one in the head. Virginia tells Rusty not to trust her, but he gives her the gun. Randal begs – a lazy acting week for him, since he had hardly any lines to learn – and Alex says it’s for her son. He keeps telling her please don’t. She can’t. Rusty says she’s always been soft-hearted like her mom, but he’s going to teach her different. Another police car pulls up. It’s Eddie. Great. Just what this party needs.

Rusty asks what he’s doing there, and he says he came to watch. He says Alex’s husband is his best friend and Randal raped her. Randal is like, Eddie, please, and Eddie says go ahead and beg. He asks if he can have the pleasure, and Rusty says sure, but they have to get the boat in the water first. Because – he says it – it’s rusty. Eddie shoots the chain and the boat is free. Boy, they are stupid. Everybody has a gun and no one thought of that.

They put the noose around Randal’s neck. He’s all noooo! and they drag him off, Eddie in the lead. Eddie throws the rope over a tree branch and they hoist Randal up. Police sirens are heard, and they all take off, and I laugh. Randal drops to the ground, and there’s a shoot out.

I hope someone picked up the baby. Everyone runs everywhere and everyone is shooting. Steven and Lushion are there too. It’s a total free-for-all. Eddie shoots Rusty in the back (good riddance), and then acts like he was after them the whole time. He starts yapping about Andrew being missing like he’s concerned. Man, I hope Randal spills the beans on that a-hole. Brad drives up. Why not?

Someone did pick up the baby. Virginia is in the boat, out on the lake, holding the baby over the water by one of his feet. Alex cries and screams. Lushion says take the shot, and an officer shoots.

Season finale.

Below Deck

Kate video chats with Ro. She thinks the other stews are being lackadaisical because it’s the end of the season, but if they want the last tip, she says they have to do the last few days of work.

Kelly is upset about Captain Lee feeling he’s not up to the task of his job.

Ben says it was nice to become more comfortable with Emily, so I guess their friend date went well.

Kyle and Nico talk about Ashley coming to visit. Nico asks if Kyle told her about asking Sierra out. Kyle says he did, but Ashley took it well and just thought Sierra was an idiot. Hmm… I think there was more to the conversation than that.

Time for hearing about the next guests. Dawn is the primary, with a group of former models who all have a lifestyle blog together. Their only requirements are a photo shoot and a thank you dinner for Dawn. Kate says there’s a lot of potential for Kelley. In his interview, he says he has experience with older women and knows what the ladies like and it’s him. He talks about being 26 and dating a 42-year-old. Oh yeah? When I was 19, I dated a 40-year-old.

The crew gets the boat ready, and Captain Lee asks Kelley to assemble the deck crew. He wants to end things on a positive note. He says this charter should be a piece of cake. He tells Kelley to give the guests guidance – away from using the pool, which has been troublesome all season. He tells them to use Kate’s playbook. If Ben doesn’t have something, she steers the guests away from it. Nico translates that to causing someone to believe something when they don’t actually believe it.

Kate compares the crews’ radios to egg babies. She says Sierra and Emily have been great all season, but they suddenly have senior-itis. In her interview, Sierra wonders where this is coming from. Emily seems puzzled too, but I’m not. I don’t blame Kate when she couldn’t even take a break last charter because the captain had to hunt down indoor help.

Ben rubs Emily’s shoulders as Kate radios for her. See? They kis,s and Kate radios that they’re all fired, hoping to get someone’s attention. It’s not just Emily though. Everyone is leaving their radios everywhere. The crew gets ready to greet the guests. Kelley asks Kate for advice about the pool, and she suggests he say it’s more for babies and older people. Good one. The captain tells them to act like they’ve done this before.

Kate does the boat tour. Ben gets lunch ready. The guests are dressed beautifully. Lots of paisley in bright colors. The Valor shoves off. The guests consult their photographer. Kate says the guests are so happy, it’s annoying, but with every beverage served, she’s that much closer to freedom.

Kelley and Nico talk to the guests about the toys. Kelley goes through the list, and downplays the pool. The ladies say definitely on the slide, and after that, he can choose. Ben is doing a quinoa dish “because models love that sh*t.” I do too, and I’m not a model. Now where’s that brownie chaser?

Ben tells Kate they should see if they can avoid having any arguments this charter. Kate suggests avoiding to keep from being annoyed. Yep. The Valor drops anchor. Kate finds Sierra’s radio in one of the guest bedrooms. She attaches the girls’ radios to them. In her interview, Kate says they say brains and beauty are a hard combination to find, and Sierra is very pretty, so pretty…

Lunchtime! Next to seeing how much the tip is, my favorite part of the show is to eat vicariously. Emily and Ben flirt in the galley. In his interview, he’s not sure if they’re “an item,” but he knows he likes her. In her interview, Kate says she appreciates the budding romance that is Bemily, but they still have to focus on work.

Dawn makes a toast about women inspiring women. Kate says she feels like she’s in a Lifetime movie. In her interview, she says being an independent woman isn’t sitting on a yacht talking about independence, but I dunno. It can be. The guests talk about giving back.

Emily and Sierra tidy the rooms. Kelley talks to Ben, who thinks it’s been a great season. Kelley does some weird dance and says he’s letting loose. Kate looks on skeptically, and slightly disapproving.

Captain Lee is happy with the team of Nico and Kelley. The guests use the slide, and it looks like a load of fun. Sierra tells Emily that she feels disrespected, but she doesn’t want to make a big deal since it’s the last charter.

A glorious sunset happens, and Ben gets dinner ready. Kyle doesn’t like the way Sierra eats dinner. More radio hyjinks. Kyle gets sulky when Sierra touches his radio and he thinks she’s accusing him of taking hers. She calls him a child, and he calls her an f-ing idiot. Nice. She complains to Emily that he’s petty. In her interview, she says he’s still holding a grudge because she wasn’t into him. They start to argue and Nico tells them to knock it off, reminding them that it’s the last charter.

Kelley tells Kyle to be a man and fix it. Big baby Kyle doesn’t want to apologize, saying Sierra is a psychopath, and that she probably has an ex-boyfriend’s body parts stashed away. I’m speechless yet again tonight.

The photographer leaves, and the ladies sit down to dinner. Kyle complains to Kelley about Sierra, but Kelley tells him that in confined places, they have to get along. Kelley tells Sierra that it was her delivery that was wrong. She says every time she deals with him, it’s an unpleasant encounter and she doesn’t want to talk to him anymore. Kelley says she’s being rude right now. She says she only has a problem with him and Kyle, and Kelley says just let it go. He and Kyle complain about her as soon as she leaves.

Sierra tells Kate about Kyle’s reaction to her picking up his radio. In her interview, Kate says the only thing she has time for is the job they’re supposed to be doing. Sierra says Kelley will probably apologize now. Kelley overhears and says not this time. He tells her that he was actually trying to get Kyle to apologize to her when she went off on him.

Dinner is served. Chilean sea bass. I’m in. The women cheer Ben’s food. Kate tells Ben they want to meet him, so he comes up along with the dessert. More applause and accolades. And hugs. The way to a woman’s heart is through her stomach. Truth.

Lauren and Nico talk about yachting. Kyle talks about Sierra being mental. Lauren thinks Kate is a sh*t stirrer. Ben can’t sleep. He tells Kate that he doesn’t have much anxiety though. He says Kate’s been nicer to him, and she says it’s because she’s been avoiding him. Ha-ha! In his interview, Ben says Kate is an easy person to work with. Like Attila the Hun.

The guests have breakfast and the stews are supposed to be tidying the cabins, but Sierra is busy scarfing down some toast. Kelley thinks the deckhands are just getting into stride and the stews are falling apart. One of the guests bothers Captain Lee and wants to see the anchor come up, so he palms her off on Kelley.

Kate tells Ben how much time they have left down to the second. She says oddly enough, she’s least annoyed with him out of everyone. Sierra complains about the deckhands asking her to do their chores. Kelley gets notified and relays a complaint from Kate. Kate says that just because these guests aren’t Dean, doesn’t mean they shouldn’t get Dean service. Ben jokes that he’d planned on giving them bad service tonight. In his interview, he says Kate is there to spoil everyone’s day again.

The guests are going to the Baths on the mainland. I don’t know what that is, but it sounds great. The deckhands put snorkeling gear in the small boat, and Kate makes a cocktail for the guests before departure. She loves when they go to the Baths because they’re gone for a solid three hours. Kate finds two of the guest bathrooms have no toilet paper, and I’d be livid if I was her. That’s a huge no-no when you’re paying that much money. I wouldn’t expect that from a Day’s Inn. She discusses the situation with Sierra and Emily, and tells them to shiny up the rooms. After they leave, Kate complains to Ben.

In her interview, Sierra thinks she’s worked hard all season, and this is bullsh*t.

Next time, the season finale (sniff), Ben wants to be naughty, Kyle proposes to Ashley, and Ben doesn’t want to work with Kate anymore.

✈  Ladies of London is back. Joan Collins Sophie is now a full cast member. Julie has the tremendous task of taking over her husband’s family’s estate. She’s feeling the pressure of eventually becoming the Countess of Sandwich. I’m not making that up. She’s concerned that if she fails at this task, it will be a black mark against all Americans. Marissa is pregnant. It’s a girl with a side of complications, and has to come into the world two months early. Caroline #1 has turned 40, and since losing her business last season, is basically a housewife. She and her husband are moving to Dubai. Sister-in-law Alexis Carrington Sophie and Caroline’s brother are getting divorced, although that hasn’t interfered with their friendship. Caroline #2‘s father has cancer, causing her to divide her time between Denmark and England. In the first episode, there’s already an altercation between Caroline #1 and Julie, with kibitzing from Juliet, probably because Caroline is jealous of Julie’s friendship with her almost ex-SIL. I’ll keep you mini-posted.

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Thanksgiving begins. Jordan and Andre stop b Kelly’s where TJ is working. He’s working toward his college education, and Andre offers to help with the applications. Jordan asks if he has any pies left and he does. Everyone is going to Alexis’s for dinner. Jordan says she’s thankful for TJ. Andre says he’s thankful for her.

Alexis thinks back to last year’s Thanksgiving with Julian, while Molly does some cooking. Kristina brings wine, but Molly reminds her of Alexis’s promise not to drink along with Sam. Sam arrives with the green bean casserole. She tells the other two about the oven incident.

Julian talks on the phone, saying he’s heard “we’re partners” before. Ava brings Avery to the MetroCourt to celebrate Thanksgiving with Kiki who’s working. She says they had an early rush and she’s about ready for her break, so perfect timing. Ava goes to talk to Scotty and Kiki explains wishbones to Avery.

Dillon is on the phone. He says sorry, they’ll have to eat pizza without him, since he has to work. Geez, half of Port Charles is working on Thanksgiving.

Ava asks Scotty how it went, and he says Lucy is smarter than the average bear. She knew he was scamming her for the pills, but he’s going to handle it today. I gotta say, Avery, although big for her age, is very cute. She’s more animated than the usual toddler. I see a future for that one.

Curtis stops by Kelly’s and is surprised to see TJ working. TJ asks Curtis what’s up, and he says he and Valerie are done. He’s ordering the turkey special and watching football. He says nationally televised sports means you never heave to be alone. TJ suggests he go to Alexis’s with him.

Sam says Jason and Danny are staying home to watch football. Maybe they should get together with Curtis. They talk about Sam’s new baby, and Kristina is going to The Rocky Horror Picture Show later. I’m not kidding. She said she’s going to a special showing. Nothing says Thanksgiving like RHPS. She tells them that she got a note from Parker saying sorry about Morgan. Sam says they should all be thankful for one another, and Alexis says she doesn’t know what she’d do without them.

Scotty suggests Ava go to the bar, have some ‘tinis and dinner, and he’ll be back before she knows it.

Julian gripes to whoever he’s talking to that it’s a holiday and then says he’ll see what he can do.

Alexis tells the girls that the bar is reconsidering her suspension. Not that bar, the Bar Association. She might actually be working in 2017. She has to stay out of trouble though. Kristina says she should have it in the bag then. Yeah, as long as she doesn’t get in the bag. BA-DUM-CHH!

Lucy tells Scotty she’s disappointed that he prefered Ava’s friendship to their long-standing one. He says he got her some good wine to make up for it. She’s like, btw, the guy you have breaking in is going to be disappointed, since she has the pills with her. He says she’s always a step ahead and that’s why he’s crazy about her. They kiss.

Avery gets the wish part of the wishbone. Kiki goes to look for another one. This was the biggest wishbone I have ever seen. What size turkeys are these from? Human sized? Julian approaches Ava’s table, and she says he must miss the family. He says no one has called or texted. She reminds him of last year, and says she never saw him happier than when he was surrounded by family.

Andre and Jordan arrive bearing liquor. Alexis joneses. They have a toast and Jordan thanks her for inviting them. Alexis says TJ is practically family. Alexis is given sparkling cider, which is a huge disappointment. TJ comes in and he’s brought Curtis with him. Andre looks bummed. Sam introduces Curtis to Alexis and her sisters. Alexis gets a text from Julian saying he misses them.

Dillon’s phone rings. It’s Tracy. He says he was talking to someone in Milan and has to explain that there’s no Thanksgiving there.

Kiki returns to Ava’s table. Julian wonders if they can set aside their issues and come together as a famiy, and she says no. He says Morgan’s death wasn’t his fault, and she tells him not to talk about that in front of Avery. She leaves the wishbone with him and Ava. Ava asks if he wants to talk about anything. She breaks the wishbone with him and he gets the short end. He wishes them a happy Thanksgiving and leaves. Ava tells Avery that on the bright side, she’s getting her wish.

Lucy and Scotty are rolling around on the bed. She says he’s not focused enough, and puts the pills in a safe in what looks like a mini-fridge. He says he thought they’d agreed to blackmail Ava, and she says he can’t risk him double-crossing her. He’s aghast that she doesn’t trust him, and he asks if she trusts that he wants her. She tells him to convince her.

It’s post dinner time at Alexis’s. Andre asks Jordan if she’d like to come to Chicago for the holidays. Curtis says meeting the family is a huge step and prelude to a proposal. Andre says maybe, and Jordan says let’s focus on dessert. Jordan tells Alexis that she noticed she’s not drinking, and Sam explains why. Jordan says she’s only asking because of what happened at Julian’s trial. Alexis says they’ve discussed it before, and she’d only had one glass of wine. Jordan thinks that Paul might have had something to do with it, and they’ll get to the truth eventually. I totally forgot about Paul already. Alexis sees everyone drinking and can’t stop focusing on it.

Lucy and Scotty bask in the afterglow. She says she’s very relaxed, and he says any differences they have always go out the window when they go to bed. She says she heard her phone and thinks it must be a real estate thing. It’s a message from Felicia who’s invited her to dinner. She jumps up to change. Scotty stares at the safe.

Ava asks if Kiki has seen Dillon. She says he was at Morgan’s funeral, but wanted to give her some space. Ava says men like that are hard to find. Kiki still feels responsible, and Ava says she shouldn’t feel like that. She has to get back to work and thanks Ava for bringing Avery. Ava says they’ll be seeing more of Avery since Sonny is in jail, and Kiki fills her in on the change to house arrest.

Alexis is messing with her phone and Sam asks for help whisking. Alexis ends up spilling the bowl because she needs a drink. She says that was the last of the cream, and that she’ll run out to get some more. She won’t come back without it. And several bottles of liqur.

Julian is in the dive bar. Grady shows up, and Julian says he wants the condo deal done yesterday. Grady says GH is bleeding money, but the new financial adviser is being given a chance before any decisions are made. He says Julian is going to face a PR nightmare because it’s a beloved institution. He asks if it’s worth it, and Julian says he doesn’t have a choice.

Lucy asks Scotty if he wants to come. He says maybe later, since he has work to do. She asks if he’s really running over to tell Ava that he didn’t score the pills, but he tells her that since he got Julian off the hook, his case load has tripled. She gives him an air kiss and leaves.

Kiki brings some food to Nina’s office and sees Dillon. He says he’s avoiding his family. He remembers last year when he and his dad blew out the power cooking the turkey. Yep, I remember that too. She tells him the restaurant ran out of roasted turkey, so she’s brought him a turkey burger.

Scotty goes to the MetroCourt. Ava tells him to give her the pill bottle, and he says he wishes he could. She gets distressed, but he says he figured out the combination to the room safe, and that everything is going to be okay. He says Lucy would have been suspicious if he took the bottle, so he did the next best thing.

The girls wonder how long it takes to pick up whipped cream. Sam says the stores are probably closed. They get a group text from Alexis saying that Diane and Max had a fight and she’s with Diane. I’ll just bet that Max and Diane show up at some point. Andre gets an emergency call about a patient. Jordan says his patients are crazy about him and doesn’t get it when Curtis and TJ laugh.

Alexis looks at the text from Julian while sitting at the dive bar. I guess she didn’t notice Julian when she came in?

Curtis says he has one more thing for Jordan to be grateful for – he’s out of a job. He and Julian didn’t see eye to eye on a lot of things. Jordan asks if he knows Sam because of Jason. She notes that he and Jason were both in the area at the time of the murder. She says she thought Curtis would call and let her know what was going on, and he says he called her right away.

Julian says good-by to Grady. He sees Grady to the door, and at first I think it’s the men’s room, but it turns out that the name of the bar is Gent’s. Julian sees Alexis sitting at the bar.

Scotty says he swapped out dumdum pills for the real McCoys. He got them from a drug dealer he’s representing who owed him a favor. She says Lucy still has the bottle and could give it to Carly and Sonny. Scotty tells her that they would just think she was seeing Morgan again and not have any idea what really happened. He tells her that she should be celebrating, and he’ll be looking for repayment.

Dillon tells Kiki that it’s perfect. He’ll be the first Quartermaine to eat turkey on Thanksgiving since 1994. Dillon breaks the streak! He explains that, no matter how hard they’ve tried, the Quartermaines have always ended up with pizza on Thanksgiving. Kiki tells him to enjoy his triumph. He asks her to join him, and she says there’s only one burger. He introduces her to the invention of the knife, and cuts it in half.

Jordan says Curtis never called. Curtis says he did. Andre asks if everything is okay. Jordan asks about his patient, and he says he has to call in a prescription. He walks away, and Jordan tells Curtis that she would have gotten the message. He says Andre picked up and said not to bother her any more. He says the doctor staked his claim, and maybe he was threatened by their rhythm. He suggests couples therapy and leaves.

Julian appraches Alexis. She asks what he’s doing there, and he says, don’t let me stop you.

Tomorrow, Olivia talks to Carly, Alexis asks Julian to keep it between them, and Tracy insists that everyone have a happy Thanksgiving.

If Loving You is Wrong

Marcie takes in the news that she’s pregnant. She tells the doctor she can’t have children, and the doctor says better tell that to the baby. She keeps asking if the doctor is sure, but the answer doesn’t change. Marcie says she has a lot going on, and the doctor offers a counselor. Marcie says she doesn’t need therapy; she has to go. The doctor doesn’t recommend it, but Marcie says her husband is in trouble. The doctor says not only is she putting the child in danger, she could have a stroke, but she can’t legally keep Marcie there.

Brad gets home and asks how the kids are. Kelly says they’re fine, and he asks what’s wrong with her. He thinks she’s afraid of him, but she says she never thought he did it; it’s something else. He asks about Marcie, and Kelly says she fainted while visiting Louise and is in the hospital. With soap opera timing, Marcie walks in. She tells them she’s fine and it was just all the excitement. Kelly tells her to sit while she makes something to eat.

Marcie tells Brad she’s sorry and he says for what. She says all of it. He asks for specifics and Kelly asks if he can’t see that she’s not well. Marcie says she’s sorry for thinking he could have been involved with the kidnapping, but Brad thinks there’s more. She says she knows he’s mad and she apologizes again, saying she shouldn’t have jumped to conclusions. She says she hasn’t been handling anything very well. She explains why she thought what she did, and Brad acts like the idiot he is. He says he’s going to take a nap. At what? Midnight? She tells him not to pretend he doesn’t care, but he says he doesn’t. He says everyone will be fine, but Marcie doesn’t agree. He goes to check on the kids.

Kelly says it’s too much. Marcie thinks she shouldn’t have said anything, but Kelly says she did what she thought was best and it was the right thing. Marcie wants to go home. She says Brad doesn’t want her here. Kelly encourages her to stay, but Marcie says she can’t be there if Alex comes home. Like that’s happening. Kelly asks what the doctor said, and Marcie makes something up about needing to eat and rest, and her blood pressure being high. She tells Kelly she’s fine and to let it go. She tells Kelly that she has to get Louise’s purse and call the FBI. Kelly doesn’t like it; she says it’s bad over there. Marcie leaves anyway. Poor Kelly. She has her own damn set of problems.

Marcie sees the blood on the sidewalk leading to her house. Why isn’t there any crime scene tape? She goes inside and sees the bloody mess. She starts to cry. She wonders how this could happen.

Kelly tells Brad that Marcie might need him right now. She says that Marcie went next door and asks him to get her. She says she’d go herself, but it was too much for her. She thinks Marcie might be in danger and begs Brad to go get her.

Brad goes next door. Marcie asks who would do this? She wonders if it’s Randal’s blood. She asks Brad if he knows where “they” live. He doesn’t want to tell her. She asks him to take her there, but he doesn’t want to. He wants to stay as far away as possible and doesn’t want her involved. She says they’re both involved; they’re right in the middle of it. He says he doesn’t care, but she doesn’t believe it. Brad says the police are handling it, and Marcie asks if he means Eddie. She says he knows Rusty and stood up to him, but Brad can’t believe she’s asking him to help Randal. She says there’s a baby involved too, but Brad says after everything Randal has caused, he doesn’t deserve help. Marcie asks if Brad thinks he deserves death, and Brad says sorrynotsorry.

Marcie looks for Louise’s purse. Brad says the police probably took it. She starts looking at tax records online for Alex’s parents’ address. She says when she finds it, she’s going. Brad blocks her way. She says she needs to do this, and Brad says she still loves Randal. She says if anything happens, she’ll never forgive Brad for stopping her. He says he’s protecting her, and he doesn’t want to, but she wins, he’ll go. Marcie says he won’t, and he asks if she’s doubting him again. He says he’ll do it for her. She asks him to hurry and gives him her car keys.

Lushion goes to Joey’s room. Natalie says he’s still breathing, and if he makes it through the next 24 hours, his chances for recovery go up. She says she’s never clock-watched like this before. Lushion says every second that goes by, Joey gets better. She tells Lushion that he looks stressed. He says a lot is going on at the station, but the most important thing is right here. She asks him to call her sister and check on the kids. She thinks the disk might be at her sister’s house, remembering that the kids were there that day. Lushion says it’s not important right now; the only important thing is right here, right now. She thanks him, but says he should leave for a while. Natalie knows something is up, but he repeats that it’s just work. She insists he go.

Andrew tells Alex he’s sorry, but he has to do this right or he’ll get in a lot of trouble. She asks if he has kids, and he says he has one on the way. She says her newborn baby was snatched by her racist parents. The baby is half Black, and she needs to find him. Andrew finally says okay, but here comes a-hole Eddie. Andrew thinks it’s back-up and gets out of the car.

Andrew tells Eddie that he thought they were sending local back-up, and Eddie says no, just him. Andrew starts to radio the station. Eddie says it won’t work and talk to him. He asks if there’s a girl in the car. Andrew says she told him her parents kidnapped her baby. Eddie says he’ll take care of it, and tells Andrew to go. Andrew is hesitant and says he’s not leaving. Eddie says he’s here to help her too. Eddie suddenly maces Andrew in the face and he’s late on the draw.

Andrew flounders, and Eddie says it’s not his first time crawling around. Eddie approaches the car. Alex is stunned to see him. Eddie tells her to get out of the car, but she refuses. He calls her a whore and says she’s caused enough problems. She says he knows her father has the baby, and he tells her don’t make him drag her out. He points his gun at her, saying he’ll blow her head off and get out of the car. She sees the keys are in the car and slowly slides across the seat.

Eddie opens the door. Just as Alex is about to get out, she slams the door shut and takes off. That was a pretty slick move for a girl from the backwoods.

Andrew gets to his feet and says it’s too late. Eddie makes stupid remarks and Andrew says he’s not going after her. Eddie says, who gonna check me, boo? I mean, who gonna stop me, you? Andrew says he’s warning him, and Eddie says try it. Andrew points his gun at Eddie, and Eddie says he’ll have to shoot him to stop him. He says he’s tested Andrew and he’s a nobody. Eddie advances. Andrew asks why he’s doing this, and Eddie asks why Andrew is testing him. Eddie tells him go ahead. I wish he would. I would. He tells Andrew he ain’t cut out for this, and asks if he wants help. Eddie draws his own gun and points it at Andrew’s face. He says, two guys with two guns; who has the balls to pull the trigger?

Eddie goes around behind Andrew. He asks if Andrew has ever shot a gun before, and says it’s like this – and shoots Andrew in the shoulder. Eddie tells him how it’s going down and asks if he’s ready to listen now. They both came out there and came across Rusty and his boys. There was a shoot out and Eddie had Andrew’s back. Eddie says if he hears anything but yes, he’ll say he found him out there dead and Rusty must have outnumbered him. Andrew says he’ll do whatever Eddie says. Eddie says he might be able to use him yet. He tells Andrew get his act up and he can come over to the good side, but then again he might just say the hell with it – and shoots Andrew in the leg. He says Lushion likes to shoot in the vest, but he likes them to feel it. He tells Andrew to think about working for him and drives off.

Randal begs Rusty and his boys not to harm his son. Rusty says Randal raped his daughter. Randal calls Rusty “sir,” and Rusty says he’s not so uppity now. Randal says he’s sorry. Rusty says sorry for what (running theme!), and Randal says just don’t hurt his son. Rusty says his son is his sin. They’re going to hang him and feed his body to the gators, but first, he’s going to ask for Rusty’s forgiveness and then ask the Lord for forgiveness. He makes Randal call him Mr. Rusty and wants Randal to tell everyone that he raped his daughter. Randal says that’s not true, and Rusty says he’d better tell them. Randal says he raped Alex. Rusty tells him to say that the bastard child is a part of the rape. Randal says it, and Rusty says ask for his forgiveness. Randal asks Rusty for forgiveness, then asks the Lord. As much as I hate Randal, I hate Rusty more. Double, because now I feel sorry for Randal.

Randal asks for his son, and Rusty says he’s getting nothing but death. Rusty tells the boys to get the boat ready. Randal begs them not to hurt his son. Rusty says the gators are hungry and to get the baby.

Next time, Virginia tells Randal what’s going to happen to him, Eddie gets involved, Kelly frets about Travis, and Lushion tells Steven that Eddie is out of control.

Below Deck

When we last left the Valor and crew, Kelley had stupidly left the Intrepid’s keys with Nico, thus leaving Dean and company stranded on the beach. The captain is not happy about having to bail Kelley out, and Kate makes a math story problem out of it. Nico suddenly realizes he has the keys.

Ben says it’s affecting everyone. The captain brings the guests back, and Kate calls for alcohol immediately. Captain Lee apologizes to the guests, and Kate plies them with champagne.

Kelley radios the captain that Nico came out of nowhere with the keys, but too little too late. The captain is already there in the inflatable boat, and makes them switch with him. In his interview, Nico says Kelley shouldn’t have called the captain, but gotten a taxi to get the keys. In her interview, Kate thanks Kelley for making her life harder.

The captain returns, and Dean talks about what hell waiting on the beach was. Please. Lunch is served. Fabulous as usual. Sierra says the best way to get the guests happy again is liquor and food. I couldn’t agree more.

To say Captain Lee is unhappy would be an understatement, and he says it’s not going to happen again. Kelley gets called to the wheelhouse. The captain says a million things went wrong, and what he’d like to do is rip Kelley’s f-ing head off. He says he can’t even talk about now, because he’ll say something he regrets. He makes Nico senior deckhand, hoping this will clear Kelley’s head, and hopes Nico deals with the extra responsibility well. He tells them the next few days had better go flawlessly. He asks if there are any questions and if so, he doesn’t want to hear them.

Dean gripes about the beach some more. Nico tells Lauren about his promotion, which I think is well-deserved. Lauren says they have to celebrate. Kelley tells Kyle that Nico is the next Trevor. Kyle makes light of the whole thing and gets Kelley laughing. Dean goes to the galley and talks to Ben about dinner. Ben wants to throw in some more courses to make up for their late lunch.

In her interview, Kate says Dean expects decorative folds on his bed, because it’s how their relationship started. We flash back to her rocket ship. Emily tells Ben about Nico’s promotion. Dean wanders around his room, not really noticing Kate’s efforts. Ben and Kate confer about dinner. Ben is doing a tasting menu. In her interview, Kate says if he hadn’t messed up the night before, he wouldn’t be doing this. I concur.

Kyle asks if Kelley is bothered about Nico. Kelley says he likes to leave feeling that he’s done a good job and apparently that’s not happening. The menu sounds amazing. Kate says Ben is knocking it out of the park.

Kelley goes to Dean and apologizes, saying it was his fault. Dean thinks he and Nico should do a singing apology. In his interview, Kelley says normally he’d think this was weird, but it’s Dean. We flash back to Dean’s other oddball requests. Dean tells Kelley he wants to feel the emotion in song.

Kate thinks Emily and Sierra are taking advantage of her leniency, or they’re just being lackadaisical. Nico isn’t keen on singing, since he feels like it wasn’t his fault. Technically, it wasn’t, although he could have remembered he had the keys. Ben gets dinner rolling. The first course is snails, one of the few things I’ve never eaten, but would like to try. Dean is impressed with the foie gras.

Kyle helps Kelley work on writing the song. They sing something about turning Dean’s frown upside down and I literally lol. Dean says Ben is on fire tonight. Kate isn’t that impressed, since she thinks he should be on fire all the time. Carrot cake! The guests talk about what their favorite dishes were. Ben thanks Emily for her team work, ignoring Kate.

Kelley and Nico do some body painting. In her interview, Kate is disappointed that Ben is being distracted by his love life. The guys practice their song badly. The go on deck where the guests have just finished dinner.

Nico says they wanted to apologize and Kelley says it was “our” fault. I just know he’s one of those “we were all drunk” people. At the end of their song, they open their shirts, displaying an apology written in neon green. Dean thinks it’s a catchy tune, and actually it is.

Ben asks Kelley about Nico being second bosun, and Kelley corrects him. Kelley is annoyed that Lauren relayed the information wrong.

The flowers Ben gave to Emily seem to be making the rounds. Kate nearly gets impalied trying to get some cheese out of the refrigerator.

Kyle’s girlfriend is coming for a visit. He says Ashley is the love of his life, but doesn’t think she’s react to well to hearing he tried to take out Sierra. I’m not even sure what to say about that except maybe, is he an idiot? Of course she won’t.

Kate has no folding inspiration. She thinks maybe a big D, since Dean wasn’t into the Vs. She says she knows what to do now. Make the biggest D he’s ever seen.

Emily and Ben discuss Nico’s promotion. Kelley comes in and clarifies Nico’s new title. In his interview, Kelley says Lauren is awesome, but needs to stop talking so much. Kelley tells her to watch what she says. Kyle asks the captain if it’s okay for him to knock off early, since his girlfriend is coming. The captain is good with it as long as the work is done. He also reminds Kyle about the next charter.

Kate approaches Ben about the flowers, saying they’re magnificent, but in the way. The Valor pulls out into dazzling blue water and the guests are served an awesome breakfast. Dean sees the big D and says Kate has been at it again. Kate says Ben is obsessed with the flowers. Ben claims that he wants Emily to enjoy them without the guests being around. He tells Emily that Kate has it in for the flowers. He wants to savor them. I’m starting to think he bought them for himself.

The guests take some pictures with the captain in the wheelhouse. Captain Lee is pleased with Nico’s work so far. It’s time for the guests to depart, and the crew gathers. I bet that beach thing is going to cost them. Dean says there were some ups and downs with Nico and Kelley stranding him and the dud dish Ben made, but they made up for it and their tip is deserved.

The crew gathers in the mess. Kelley doesn’t want to be there. The captain says not their best effort. There’s one more charter, and he wants them to stay focused. He tells the crew that Dean was happier than he was, because he gave them 26K, which means $2350 each. I think that’s the biggest tip I’ve seen since this show started. Captain Lee tells everyone that Nico is senior deckhand now, and the crew is to give Nico the same respect they give Kelley and himself. He’s letting them loose tonight, but the boat had better be ready for the next guests. The crew gets to work so that Kyle can leave early. Sierra talks to Emily about Ben. She’s not sure she wants it to go any further. She says his relationship with Kate kind of turns her off.

Kyle runs out on the dock to meet Ashley. He introduces her to the crew. Sierra says she feels for Ashley being in a relationship with Kyle. Emily thinks she’s a typical Manchester girl, whatever that means. Kate asks how she met Kyle, but it’s not very interesting. Kate likes her, saying she’s a girly-girl, but sassy.

Ben asks if Emily wants to go out tonight. She thinks it might be nice to meet up with the crew. In his interview, he says he’s shocked. He tells her he has an amazing place lined up, but she’s staunch in wanting to hang out with her co-workers. Ben follows Emily around, asking her to take a break when she’s trying to iron. She finally relents. Kyle and Ashley leave for the mainland. In his interview, Ben says he wants to settle down, and realizes Emily is younger and the timing might be wrong, but he wants to give it his best shot.

Kyle tells Ashley he doesn’t like Sierra. He tells her about Sierra texting her boyfriend while they were out, and then calling him a queen. Ashley is more concerned about him going out with Sierra than what Sierra called him. She tells Kyle that it wasn’t a free pass and calls him an a-hole. He thanks her for coming out to see him. So I guess we’re past that now?

Ben isn’t sure where he stands with Emily and he’s rattled. He waits at the bar, ordering champagne. Emily joins him, and he says he thought they had a nice thing going. She asks if they still don’t. She says she’s having fun dating him, but isn’t ready for a relationship. She puts him in the friend zone. He says he’s disappointed, but then backtracks, saying he’s having fun in the moment. He asks for a kiss and then puts on her glasses. He asks if she’ll stay at the hotel with him – nothing sexual, just Netflix only.

Ashley discusses her upcoming surgery with Kyle. She wants to make sure he’ll be around since she won’t be able to do any physical exertion for a while. He’s all happy she’s including him. He wonders what happens if she dumps him in a few years, and asks if she really wants to share this with him. They hug.

Everyone gets back to the boat. Kyle says good-by to Ashley and Kate video chats with Ro. Emily goes back to the hotel with Ben.

Next time, more models for the last charter, Kate can’t find “Benily.” Lauren thinks Kate is a sh*t stirrer, and Sierra doesn’t know what’s happening, which is nothing new.

November 15, 2016 – Sonny Takes Back His Confession, Travis Backs Kelly Into a Corner & Kell*e*y Doesn’t Have the Captain’s Back

Standard

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Jason tells Sonny that he is not going to confess. Sonny says he already did. Jason tells him the broker canceled the hit and he’s not responsible.

Franco talks to himself, saying that Tom Baker is going to regret the day he was paroled. Elizabeth sees him and wonders why he’s still at the hospital when he’d told Brad he was sick. Franco goes cough-cough, and she says she has kids. She asks what’s really wrong.

Valentin wants to take Charlotte home, but Anna stands in front of him. Nina takes her to the costume box. Anna says he might be her biological father but he doesn’t have custody.

Carly looks at Morgan’s journal entry where he wrote that he’s taking his meds so she’ll be proud of him. Michael tells her that he and Nell took the food over to the homeless shelter. Nell says they probably want privacy. Carly says she didn’t expect Sonny to do what he did. Nell remembers the letter and gives it to her.

Dante tells Jordan he’s not recusing himself unless she takes him off the case. She’s not – yet. Diana comes in, and Dante tells her that it’s too late.

Jason tells Sonny that whoever planted the bomb wasn’t one of his people.

Franco says if he tells Elizabeth, it will ruin the surprise. He was planning on leaving early and getting take-out from her favorite restaurant and have an UNO marathon with the boys. Her beeper goes off and she has to go to ICU. Obrecht takes the paper out of Franco’s hand and asks what it means. She sees the address written on it, and asks what business he has there. She says he leaves her no choice but to show it to Elizabeth. Franco says he’s going there to save Elizabeth.

Nina puts a stethoscope in Charlotte’s ears to keep her from hearing the conversation. Anna tells Valentin that he might not necessarily receive custody, considering his background. Valentin says he’s been exonerated, and asks her to remember his daughter is in the room. Anna says until there’s a court determination, Charlotte will stay with Griff per Claudette’s wishes. Anna says too bad they can’t hear her side of the story, but she’s vanished. Would he know anything about that? He says no, and he just wants to bring Charlotte home. Anna suggests he let her handle it.

Carly tells Nell that she saw the note and had asked Sonny about it, but he’d said it didn’t matter. She asks what he told Nell, and Nell says that Sonny told her to give it to Carly after the funeral. Carly thinks it’s just a rehash of the confession and asks Nell if she knows what’s in it. We flash back to her reading it, but she tells Carly that she has no clue.

Diane asks why it’s too late, and Dante tells her about the confession. Jordan tells her that Sonny said he’s responsible for Morgan’s death. Diane says it might be her interpretation, but a jury might see it differently. Diane wants to talk to Sonny.

Jason tells Sonny what he heard from the broker. He says the bomb was probably set by another party; Julian has a lot of enemies. Sonny asks him to find out who, but doens’t want him involved if it’s messy. Jason says he is getting involved, it’s already messy, and he’s going to find out who did it.

Obrecht asks how Franco is saving Elizabeth. He says the man who raped her is on parole and staying with his brother. He says he wants to make sure Elizabeth is safe. He wants to size Tom up and figure out how to protect her. He says Elizabeth has no idea about it. Obrecht asks why he’s risking the job that he just got back, and that she won’t let him.. Franco says he likes her, but not to make him choose between her and Elizabeth because she’ll lose. Elizabeth comes up behind him and wonders what’s up. He says nothing’s wrong and Obrecht says there is.

Valentin suggests that Anna not question his daughter about him or fill her head with lies. Valentin tells Charlotte that her new friends are leaving and she has to go with them. She says she misses him. He says they’ll take good care of her, and tells her about the North Star and how you can see it from anywhere. Anna and Griff take Charlotte.

Nina says that can’t have been easy, and Valentin says it wasn’t, but he’s not surprised. Everyone thinks he’s dangerous and evil. Nina says maybe they’re right, but not to Charlotte. It’s obvious that she adores him.

Carly says it’s a request. He set up a foundaton in morgan’s name trusts for the kids and her. He was planing on confessing and his assets can’t be held if he’s criminially charged. He says money doesn’t fix everything but it’s all he has to give them.

Jason asks what Sonny is going to tell the cops. Jordan comes in and asks Jason what he’s doing there.

Obrecht tells Elizabeth that all the pitching in and working together is a sham, and the hospital is inefficient as ever. She stalks off, and Franco pretends he doesn’t know what she’s talking about.

Valentin thanks Nina for keeping Charlotte busy. He says Anna is misguided, thinking she’s on the right side, and he feels sorry for Griff. Nina tells him not to be. She’s not a fan after what he did to Nathan.

Anna tells Griff that she just spoke to child services. They can keep Charlotte for now, but need written consent from the mother. Griff wonders how Anna knew this was coming, and she tells him, experience. He says it’s been one shock after another. Now Charlotte is being yanked away and it’s killing him. Anna tells him to put his emotions aside; they have to concentrate on the legal situation. Both parents are alive, so to keep Charlotte out of Valentin’s hands, Griff needs to be a better parent than the biological father. She asks if he’s up to the task of being a parent for the rest of his life.

Carly asks Michael, what about Avery? She’s going to end up with Ava, and Sonny will be rotting in a prison cell. She says that Sonny does what he wants to do, and she leaves for the hotel. Nell tells Michael he’s the only one holding the family together.

Diane tells Jordan that she asked Jason to meet her there. Jordan says she could have him arrested. Diane says go ahead and she’ll file a civil suit. Jordan tells Dante to get him out of there. Outside, Dante asks Jason if he’s trying to cover something up. Jason says no way. Diane tells Jordan she wants to speak to her client. Jordan says they already heard his confession. Sonny says he changed his mind, and he has nothing to say.

Elizabeth approaches Obrecht. She wants to know what’s going on with Franco. Obrecht tells her she’s a horrible person.

Franco goes to the house and looks around, peeping in the windows. He pounds on the door.

Nina tells Valentin about Nathan marrying Claudette, and how Griff’s vow of celibacy didn’t mean much to him. Valentin says he doesn’t criticize another man’s weaknesses – unless he’s going to family court. He asks if Nina would  be a character witness, and says he knows she’s on Charlotte’s side.

Griff says he needs to accept God’s plan for today and treat Charlotte as a daughter, even if biologically she’s not. Anna says Valentin’s crimes are admissible in family court, several people saw him shoot Doc, and he tried to kidnap Spencer. She says whatever sins Griff thinks he committed, Valentin’s are worse.

Jason goes to see Carly. She doesn’t want to talk about Sonny, and wishes she never had to hear his name again.

Jordan says for once Sonny did the right thing, and keeping silent now isn’t going to change anything .Dante tells Sonny that he heard him at the church and  he can’t take it back now. How could what Jason said have changed everything?

Elizabeth asks where this is coming from. Obrecht says she fired her once, and she’s not keen on her professionally. She says Elizabeth is a ruthless manipulator, and she won’t allow Franco to fall for her hot and cold machinations. Elizabeth doesn’t get it, and Obrecht says she has patients to attend to; she’s wasted enough time. Elizabeth finds the paper with the address on the floor. She uses Spyder-Finder to look it up.

Franco says okay, maybe they’re not there and walks away, but someone looks out from behind the curtain. Tom comes out on the porch, looks around and skulks out.

Nell asks Michael why it’s his job to fix everything. He says its what he does, and he’s good at it. She asks who fixes him? She repeats what he said about being Morgan’s constant, and says Morgan was his too, and he should allow himself to grieve. He says he can’t while his family is falling apart.

Sonny tells Dante sorry, he has nothing to say except to his lawyer. Dante asks how he can do this to Morgan and leaves. Diane tells Sonny that Jason texted her, and it seems everything went as Sonny planned. She says she and Max are taking flowers to the gravesite tomorrow, and tells Sonny that they loved Morgan. (That answers my question about the burial.) She wants to know everything that Sonny said.

Jordan tells Dante that maybe Sonny had an emotional outburst at the church, but nothing is going to help. He confessed in front of witnesses.

Carly tells Jason that Sonny isn’t innocent. Jason explains that he called the hit off, and the contractor never went after Julian. She says maybe the broker is lying. Jason said it had already been set up with a slip in the shower. Sonny’s man never planted the bomb.

Anna tells Griff that she’ll do everything in her power to keep Charlotte with him and away from Valentine. She says the important lesson is that you don’t have to be family to be family. He has a legion of supporters and Valentine has none.

Valentine tells Nina about a tip on manners he read in her magazine. He says that you should never keep a compliment to yourself when you can brighten someone’s day. He tells her that she’d be a great mother. He leaves and she smiles.

Elizabeth finds out that the address belongs to Tom Baker’s brother. She wonders what Franco is doing.

Tom goes back inside the house with a Coke and chips that he probably bought at the gas station. He sees that a fire has been lit in the fireplace. He turns around and Franco is there. He asks if Franco is a friend of his brother’s. Franco says no; he’s a friend of of Tom’s rape victim, Elizabeth Webber.

Nell compliments Michael on how great he is. He says she gives him too much credit, but she doesn’t think so. He says his mom needed him, and he only made it worse. Nell tells him to give himself a break, or let her. She takes his hand.

Carly wants to know everything and who’s responsible. Jason says Sonny wasn’t responsible, but he’s in custody and they’re going to charge him with murder. He’s alone and grieving, and she’s the only one who understands. They could use each other right now.

Sonny tells Diane that he told everyone that he was responsible for Morgan’s death and no one else. Diane says she could say he was speaking metaphorically, and taking responsibility as a parent, and didn’t mean that he planted the bomb. Jordan comes in and formally arrests Sonny, for an attempt on Julian’s life and the murder of Morgan.

Tomorrow, Carly visits Sonny, Alexis talks to Jax, and Franco beats the crap out of Tom.

If Loving You is Wrong

Kelly is concerned about Marcie, who isn’t responding on the phone. She calls Lushion. She asks about Joey, who is still doing the same. She says he’s the only person she knew to call. Kelly tells Lushion that she was on the phone with Marcie, and now she can only hear her breathing; she’s not talking. She says Marcie had been to visit Louise and was in the parking lot. Lushion tells Natalie he’ll be right back.

He talks to Kelly from the parking lot, asking what she hears. Still just breathing. He asks what kind of car and she answers like I would, a black something or other. Lushion sees something and says he’ll call her back. He finds Marcie unconscious. He calls for help, saying he needs a doctor.

Lushion tells Kelly that Marcie fainted, but she’s fine. She’s in with the doctor. Marcie says it’s like the night from hell and Lushion agrees. He tells her to hold it together, and she says she’s trying. She asks Lushion to have Marcie call her.

Ben calls Eddie and tells him Louise is awake, but she has an FBI detail. Eddie asks why they’d do that, but Ben doesn’t know. Ben says Lushion was there, and 45 minutes later, the FBI was there and Louise started singing like a bird. Eddie is pretty slow, but makes the connection between Lushion and the FBI. Ben tells Eddie he’s sick of him and Lushion. Eddie hangs up.

Eddie asks Steven what he knows about Lushion, and Stephen tells him to get lost. Eddie repeats what Ben told him, and says Lushion is a mole. Steven tells him he’s paranoid and to lay off the drugs. Eddie squawks about finding the captain.

Steven calls Lushion and says he thinks Eddie is on to something. He tells Lushion about their conversation and says to be more careful. Lushion says what are they supposed to do, just let Eddie kill her? He tells Steven they need to let Brad go.

Andrew calls for backup, and Eddie sticks his nose into it, telling the 911 operator that he’ll handle it.

Steven tells Brad he’s free to go. He tells Brad that Louise woke up and said Alex’s parents did this. He wonders why Brad doesn’t look surprised. I guess Steven hasn’t met them.

Natalie approaches the doctor. She apologizes, and he says he understands her grief. She says he knows he did his best. He says he’s seen a lot of strange things happen, and he’s not God. He gave his professional opinion, but Joey could still pull through. Natalie asks if she can see him. The doctor says she may not recognize him, but she doesn’t care. He asks the nurse to take Natalie in.

Natalie talks to Joey, whose face is pretty swollen, going anywhere and everywhere to get him to wake up. She tells him that they want her to donate his organs if he doesn’t make it. She says she knows he’s vain, and if he doesn’t want to lose his stuff, he’d better wake up. She says that she doesn’t want to bury any of her children, and he has to get up. Every minute he lays there is costing money they don’t have. She tells him she loves him and she’s sorry. Sorry for all the things she did wrong and for what she didn’t know how to do. She starts to cry. She says she’s sorry she couldn’t give him a better life, but she did what she knew how to do, and as bad as it may have been, it was her best. She pulls herself together, saying she doesn’t have time for tears and for him lying in the bed. She says he has to get up, come home, get a job, and help her take care of his siblings, because they need him. She needs him. She tells him that she and Lushion are getting married and she needs him there. She breaks down again, telling him that they bought a house and there’s a room for him. Things are starting to go right, and she’ll be damned if he’s leaving when she gets to the good part, because he deserves to share in it. She tells him to get up. She’s going to sit there until he does.

Alex waits in the car with Andrew. He says he’s waiting for word from Steven. He’s way out of his jurisdiction and they want him to bring Alex in, but because of what she said, he’s going further. She says she’s going to walk, but he says he’ll just catch up to her. She asks for his phone, and her mother. Her parents have cell phones? No answer after two rings, so she calls Esperanza.

Alex tells Esperanza that the baby is with her parents. Esperanza asks where she is. She says she’s with an officer because she wrecked her car. She tells Esperanza that she’s with Andrew, and Esperanza asks to talk to him. He tells her that he was told to come out there; Steven said it was okay and he’s sending local backup. Esperanza says he can’t go out there without it and asks to talk to Alex again. Esperanza tells Alex she has to stay there; backup is on the way. She asks where they are, and why Alex thinks it’s her parents. Alex says she saw them go into their house and heard screaming. Esperanza asks for her father’s and mother’s name. Esperanza logs in the information. She tells Alex to calm down and wait for the backup. Alex says she can’t. Esperanza tells her she can’t go there by herself. The reception starts to go bad. Esperanza says if Alex really wants to help her son, to wait there. She asks for the address and logs it in. She says she’ll call Alex back.

Esperanza tells Steven about her phone conversation with Alex and Andrew. She says they’re waiting for backup. He says he has a call into the local sheriff, but no one is picking up. She tells him the reception is bad and there’s no radio. She says there’s a baby out there that needs their attention.

Brad comes out and Esperanza asks if he’s okay. He says he’s had better nights. She tells him that Alex’s parents have Randall and the baby. Brad says Randall is a dead man, but doesn’t elaborate.

Esperanza calls Kelly. She tells Kelly it was Alex’s parents, but Kelly says Marcie told her already. Esperanza tells Kelly about Andrew finding Alex. She says to keep praying for the baby and Randall. Kelly tells Esperanza about Marcie fainting and Lushion finding her, and says she’s still waiting to hear back. They discuss what it might be, but I think Marcie is pregnant.

Kelly checks the refrigerator, but there’s nothing there. She leaves to go to her own house to get some food, and puts some stuff in a bag. She sees an open window in Justice’s room. I say, Kelly, get out of there! but she doesn’t listen. She closes the window and turns around. Even though I was expecting it, I gasp with her. It’s Travis. He wants to apologize. She says accepted, please leave. He says love makes you do crazy things. She continues to tell him to leave, but he wants to talk. He asks where she’s been and she says next door. She says there was an accident next door and the kids are at Esperanza’s. He says he’s sorry for breaking in, but he was in the back yard and heard the cops. She says she didn’t call them. He says his dad and the church would be disappointed and upset. (I thought he was a mama’s boy. Continuity, people!) She asks him to leave again, and he acts like he’s going to, but tells her he loves her. She says okay, and amends that to, I love you too, when he reacts badly. He asks for a hug, saying she’s all he’s got. She suggests they talk tomorrow. He asks for a hug again.

Kelly accepts the hug. He says she smells good, and she says she doesn’t know how, since it’s been a long night. He asks if she wants him to stay, but she says Alex needs her and makes something up about the baby. He says he can’t wait until they have one. He says he loves her again, and she says she loves him too. He asks if she’s still seeing “that boy,” and she tells him Ramses moved. He asks if she wants him to walk her over, but she says she’ll be okay.

Kelly asks where Travis’s car is and he laughs. He says he parked around the corner. She asks what’s going on with him. He says he just loves her, and he’ll kill “him” before he sees her with another man. She says she didn’t know he was like this. He says he’s been there before, but not like this; it’s her fault he’s acting this way. She tells him let’s not think about it. He asks when was the last time she saw Ramses, and she says yesterday. He asks if she’s going to see him again, and Kelly repeats that he’s gone back to Utah. She tells Travis good night, and can’t get into the house fast enough. He whistles as he leaves. I hate those whistling dudes.

At the hospital, Dr. Denton talks to Marcie, telling her she fainted in the parking lot, and asks questions to make sure she’s okay. Marcie says she has to go, but the doctor says she’s not going anywhere; she needs to get her blood pressure under control. She needs to let the medication kick in or she could have a stroke. Marcie asks for her phone, and the doctor has someone get her belongings. The doctor asks if she’s under stress and Marcie says she is. The doctor tells her she needs to eat if she wants a healthy baby. Called it! Marcie looks stunned.

Next time, Marcie comes home, Eddie shoots Andrew, and Rusty wants to kill Randall who begs for his life.

Below Deck

Ben shared the master suite with Kyle, and Kate kicks him out of bed so they can clean. She sees the broken panel and asks Lauren if she knows what happened. Emily tells Ben that her birthday is in two days, but don’t do anything for it. Yeah, that’s why you told him. So he can not do anything. Please. He tells her that he’s going out with his brother, James, tonight and she’s going to be the guest of honor.

Captain Lee knows something is wrong. Kate shows him the bathroom panel in the master. She says you can pop it back, but she doesn’t know how it happened. She says the deckhands and Ben were in there. It’s the control panel for a 10K toilet. The captain wants everyone in the crew area – now. Someone is going to walk the plank.

He asks if everyone is happy, because he’s not. He says he’s finding the behavior of the collective group deplorable. The boat isn’t their personal party palace, and it stops now. He says everybody was told they’re on their last round of warnings about respect for the boat, and they’re confined to the crew area. He wants to see Kelley and Kate. He tells them everyone better be in bed by ten. In her interview, Kate says she’s never seen him so angry, and she’s not sure if she’s in trouble with them. He calls out Kelley for not doing his job. He says if Kelley doesn’t want to operate short-handed, he’d better get with it.

In the mess, Ben says the panel just popped off the wall. Yep, just like that. Nico thinks Kate framed them. Kelley tells everyone they’d best be in bed by ten. Nico thinks Kelley has gone from trying to be a friend to being too hard and should find a middle ground.

Kate asks Ben about James, and says they won’t be able to have dinner now. Ben says the captain didn’t say not to leave the boat. He asks if Kate ratted them out, and she says no and thanks a lot. The captain tells them confined to quearters means confined to the boat. Ben says his brother is there and the captain says sorry, he can’t be selective. Ben asks if James can come there. The captain says if Ben wants to say his good-byes, he doesn’t have an issue with that.

Nico tells Kelly he needs to change the way he talks to him. Kelley says to give him a break; when they screw up, he has to deal with it. He says he’s Nico’s boss. Nico tries to argue with him. Kelly tells him he’s in bed by ten; deal with it.

The captain goes over the profile for the next primary guest. Perfectionist Dean is back. He’s the one Kate made the rocket ship for. Captain Lee tells Ben that as usual, Dean is punctual with everything. Kate says she’s relieved; no surprises, just be perfect. They want fireworks and Kate puts in an order.

Nico complains to Lauren about Kelley, saying he’s a bad leader. Kate talks to Kyle and Nico, telling them she wasn’t the one who told on them. Nico thinks she’s the root of all evil on the boat. Ben texts James to meet him at nine.

James arrives, and he and Ben have a whiskey. James calls Emily a proper English girl and a munchkin. They have caviar. The captain comes down. He doesn’t want a two/three hour good-by. He says Ben always takes things to the limit. He calls Ben aside and tells him he wants him in bed and James off the boat. In his interview, Ben feels like he’s being treated unfairly. The brothers say good-by, and Ben and Emily share a kiss.

Kate tells the stews that Dean is polite, but likes things perfect. The captain takes the broken toilet for a test drive and all is well. The guests arrive. Captain Lee welcomes Dean back. Kate does the tour. The Valor shoves off.

Ben spills egg yoke on the floor. He’s nervous because every meal has to be perfect. In her interview, Kate says Dean is the one person who holds Ben accountable. More incredible water that is so blue I can’t stand it.

Ben says life without butter would be harsh and I agree. As usual all the food looks fabulous. The captain tells Kelley to break out the toys. Kate starts arranging a Chinese New Year party. Dean talks to Ben, telling him he wasn’t thrilled to see him, but lunch was amazing. He apologizes, and then tells Ben that he has a lot to live up to now. When he leaves, Emily says she’s glad the guests are only guys, so there’s no lipstick to wash off the glasses. Ben says it’s the little things.

Kate tries to take a break, but gets called back to work. Kelley is taking the Intrepid (the small boat) to to pick up the fireworks, and Ben asks him to pick up flowers he ordered for Emily while he’s there. Kate is disappointed because she told Emily to stay on service and she disappeared. Ben argues with her. The captain sees the flowers and says they don’t look like fireworks. Kelley says he’ll explain when he gets there. Then when he gets there, he proceeds to bang the Intrepid right into the hull of the yacht. Captain Lee is not pleased.

Kate likes that Dean pushes her creative boundaries. They’re getting ready for the Chinese New Year party, and she’s making origami napkins. The captain calls Kelley to the wheelhouse and asks who died. Kelley explains that the flowers are from Ben for Emily’s birthday. The captain says he thinks he’s going to make some alterations, and he wants to think. He’s not pleased with how things re going at this point.

Emily tells Lauren that she thinks Kate is on her because of Ben. Emily asks Kate if she’s okay with them being together. Kate says that had nothing to do with it. She was frustrated that the captain had to call on the radio for service and she never got her break.

It’s the year of the dog. Love the table decor which includes a foo dog and beautiful lantern-y stuff. The guests are loving the food, and I’d give anything to be sitting there. The entree is shrimp and duck noodle soup, and even though I don’t like duck, I’d love to try this. One guy says it’s everything, but another says it’s difficult to eat. I gotta say, the pieces do look big. Dean doesn’t think it has enough flavor. Kate, who’s wearing the cutest hair ornament ever, says she’ll get some duck sauce. She tells Ben what Dean said. Ben says he’s never had guests not like a dish before, and up and apologizes. He says he’ll make whatever they like.

Ben asks if he should remove it, and Dean says yes. In his interview, Ben says out of the skabillion dishes he’s made, this is the first time a guests has returned one. He admits Dean was right, because he threw the thawed out shrimp in without draining them. Ben calls himself an idiot. Nico tells him to quit being so hard on himself and Kate says just focus on the next thing.

Kelley talks to Kyle and tells him about what the captain said.

Ice cream for dessert. Dean’s has a sparkler and Kate says it might seem like he’s the only one, but that’s not the case, and the fireworks start. Kate tells Ben that the guests thought dinner as a whole was amazing. Ben says it was harrowing.

Lauren tells Nico that Kelley is worried he’s going from two stripes to one. Ben breaks out Emily’s flowers. They are fabulous; even the vase is fabulous. Kate thinks his mess up with the soup was because Ben was super distracted and couldn’t stay professional. Ben wants Kate’s attention, but she says she’s not getting involved in his dating life anymore.

Sierra has decorated with balloons and I think toilet paper in place of crepe paper, which I’m shocked that they don’t have. Emily is surprised and has no idea what to do with the flowers.

The captain calls Kelley to the wheelhouse. In his interview, he says that everyone messes up, and it’s not the mess up, but how you recover. Captain Lee says it wasn’t a good day. Kelley says it was fine until the Intrepid crashed into the Valor. The captain says it was lame. He wants to give Kelley on more shot though. Kelley thanks whoever made the captain’s coffee this morning. He’d expected to get his ass handed to him, but he’s taking the guests somewhere for snorkeling. Emily thanks Ben for the flowers. Emily tells Ben what Kate said, and Ben says all they can do is the best job they can for today. Thanks, Oprah.

Kelley and Nico take the guests to the island where the snorkeling is. They have to take a trolley/taxi for an hour to get there. Dean isn’t cool with coming back that was, so Kelley is going to come around and pick them up in the Intrepid.

Kyle calls his girlfriend. She says she hates her life right now. She’s going through hormone treatment and very emo.

The snorkeling place is the coolest. Nico says the captain seems okay now, and asks Kelley if they’re good. All is well in deckhand world. Kelley leaves to take the stuff back. He says it’s going amazingly well, which scares him. Uh-oh. Kelley has Nico’s radio and Nico has the keys to the boat. Kelley calls the captain and says they have a mishap. Dean floats along in the tide pool, thinking he’s going to get picked up shortly.

Kelley explains to the captain that Nico has the keys to the Intrepid, and Captain Lee is less than thrilled about the screw up. He suggests he pick up Nico. In his interview, the captain is irritated that he has to bail Kelley’s ass out and he wouldn’t be doing it except for the guests. Kelley knows this is going to be bad. Kate wonders why Kelley didn’t just go get the keys, but the captain says it’s quicker this way. He’s disappointed, pissed off, all of the above.

Next time, Kyle’s girlfriend visits, the captain isn’t happy, and Emily feels caught in the middle.

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

In the church, Carly talks to God. She talks about Sonny raising the kids to believe in heaven and that there’s a better place. She doesn’t know if she believes that, but says Morgan must be there, and asks that he be safe and protected. Sonny is in the doorway and hears her. He says he couldn’t protect Morgan.

Maxie is late getting home, but Nathan has candles going already for a romantic evening. He tells her that the last time they tried this, the Claudette/Charlotte debacle happened. This time, no interruptions. There’s a knock at the door.

Nina goes to the bar. Valentin is there and tries to flirt with her. She tells him that she’s putting together a bachelorette party. She sees a baby picture of Charlotte on his phone and he tells her that’s his daughter.

Finn looks at Hayden’s hands and she asks what she just gave herself. Cool. He’ll have a purpose again.

Michael reads an old letter to Nell. It’s from Morgan when he was away at military school. (!) Michael explains that Carly wanted Morgan to be safe, so she sent him away to a military academy. He talks about how Morgan called him Mikey and he hated it, but would give anything to hear him say it again.

Sonny apologizes to Carly for interrupting. Carly tells him that the funeral is tomorrow. She says Jason is right, Sonny isn’t well, and he has other kids to take care of. Sonny says he will, and they’ll understand. He goes on about his Morgan guilt and Carly tells him not to. Griff pops in and tells Carly there’s something she should know.

There’s a mail delivery for Nathan. It’s a letter from Amelia Beaulieu (Claudette’s last name) in Quebec.

Nina says Valentin never mentioned he’s a father, and he says there are a lot of things she doesn’t know about him. He tells her that Charlotte is his pride and joy. Nina starts to tell him about how she’d thought Charlotte was her niece at first, but he shakes his head and says he’s her father.

As the smoke alarm blares, Alexis takes Danny outside. She tells him if she doesn’t come back in a minute, to get a neighbor to call 911. He counts, but she comes back out by the time he gets to 17.

Finn has Hayden wash her hands. He says she touched the same thing that infected him.

Danny asks about the cookies, but Alexis says they’re lumps of coal now, with fire extinguisher whatever on them. Laura drops by, and Alexis makes something up about needing a new oven timer. Laura asks if Valentin has any legal claim to the estate. Alexis tells her they’ll talk after she puts Danny to bed, and takes him upstairs. Laura sees the wine bottle.

Griff tells Carly that he can’t walk away from what he heard, and Carly says it’s none of his business. Griff tells her that Sonny canceled the hit. She says she knows that Griff means well, but Sonny already told her. She says she believes him; he would never lie to her about something this important, but it was still too late.

Nell says it’s clear how much Morgan loved Michael. Michael talks about their childhood, how they had bodyguards and were sometimes sent to a private island when things got dicey. He tells her that all they had was each other. He wonders if the memories count when there’s no one to share them with. (That’s so sad!) Nell tells him to share them with Avery. He blames himself again, and Nell says it was an accident. Michael says it was a series of bad decisions with Sonny’s being the worst. Sonny could have made different choices, but didn’t . Nell thinks back about looking at the note in Carly’s office.

Finn tells Hayden that the virus isn’t airborne, but enters through an open wound. He asks why she was there, and she says she came to warn him about Brad’s complaints. Finn realizes she has a cut on her finger. He says a cut of any size could be dangerous.

Alexis comes back downstairs, telling Laura they can go over the paperwork now. She sees Laura eyeballing the wine, but Laura asks if she can have a glass. Alexis is visibly relieved. She tells Laura that the documents Nicholas was forced to sign are invalid because they’re not notarized, but the ones from Mikkos are, and they supercede any claim that Nicholas or Spencer had to the Cassadine estate.

Nina asks Valentin if he realizes he’s the third father Charlotte has had in as many weeks. He tells Nina that he has a birth certificate, and he’s getting a DNA test. He wants to talk to her over a drink, but she says no. He says he thought she was a more independent thinker, and Nina gets annoyed when he calls her a sheep.

Nathan reads the letter to Maxie. Amelia writes that Claudette told her that if she doesn’t hear from her in a certain amount of time, to pass the enclosed on to Nathan. Nathan tells Maxie it’s official that something has happened to Claudette.

Sonny tells Griff that the truth sets you free, but if he hadn’t started things, Morgan would be alive. He says maybe the call was too late or they ignored it, but it doesn’t matter. His son is dead, and now God is punishing him for the life he’s been leading for as along as he can remember.

Nell says it’s hard to recognize the point of no return until it’s passed. 20/20 hindsight and all that. Michael says when you drag someone else along with you, then you’d better think about consequences before you do what you can’t take back. Carly comes in, and Michael leaves to talk to Olivia about the reception. Carly joins Nell. She says she’s worried about Michael. Nell says that he’s strong and it helps him to handle things. Carly says that she’s leaving Sonny to grieve alone. Part of her wants to run to him, because he knows the pain she’s feeling, but she’s reminded of what she’s lost when she sees him. Jax appears out of nowhere, and says if she needs someone to lean on, he’ll be there.

Laura wonders why Mikkos’s documents didn’t show up before, and Alexis thinks Mikkos was hiding them from Helena. She says whoever was holding onto it after she died must have thought it was now safe to give it to Valentin. Alexis says Helena is dead for real this time, which makes me think Helena isn’t dead. Laura wonders why Valentin murdered Nicholas, and says that Nicholas died for no reason.

Finn gives Hayden some pills. He doesn’t want to be the reason someone else dies from the virus.

Jax tells Carly that as soon as he got Michael’s message, he came straight to Port Charles. Carly says Josslyn will need him. Nell excuses herself, and Carly explains that Nell is her assistant now. Jax goes down Memory Lane about taking Michael and Morgan to DisneyWorld. He thanks her for sharing Morgan with him. She thanks Jax for loving him and giving him a happy home for a while. She tells him go ahead and say that she’s a fool, thoughtless, reckless, and selfish to have let Sonny back in her life.

Griff tells Sonny that God doesn’t work that way. Sonny says He does in the Old Testament. Griff says that’s why He gave us a New Testament, based on compassion and forgiveness. Sonny says he doesn’t deserve forgiveness, and Griff says it’s not his call. If he’s truly repentant, he’ll be forgiven. Sonny says those around him are always punished, and he’s taking responsibility tomorrow. Griff asks what he means.

Jax asks if Carly really thinks he’s going to say, “I told you so,” and she says not really. He says he loved Morgan and is going to miss him like crazy. In the hallway, Nell tells Michael that Jax is there. Michael says he’s glad that Carly has someone to lean on. Michael tells Nell that they have to get something clear.

Griff tells Sonny whatever he says is in confidence. Sonny says he’s always made up his own rules and code. When you’re like that, you’re always running, and he didn’t know if he could run fast enough. Now his son is dead, and he can’t run anymore. He’s done. Griff asks when he last slept. Sonny says he’ll get rest when it’s over, and no offense, Griff doesn’t look so hot either. Griff says his life has done a 180, and he’s questioning everything. He thought the priesthood was no longer his calling, but recent events caused him to reconsider. He wonders if God is telling him to pick up the collar again

Nathan wonders if someone got to Claudette. Maxie reads the letter. Claudette says if the letter is being read, the truth is out. She’s sorry for the lies, but she was only trying to protect Charlotte from Valentin. She says if Nathan is reading this, something has happened to her, and Valentin probably did it. Claudette writes that if Valentin finds Charlotte, something bad will happen, and to please protect her.

Nina tells Valentine about Maxie’s kidnapping, but he says he wan’t involved. He says what if what everyone is saying isn’t true? He would love to tell her everything, and how he would never let any harm to come to Charlotte or her mother, or she can believe what everyone is saying.

Alexis tells Laura that Nicholas died a hero, and to grieve his death, but don’t think it was meaningless. Laura says she’s right, and thanks her. Alexis apologizes for not having better news. Laura tells Alexis that she’s going to pack; she doesn’t want to be there when Valentin comes back. Laura leaves, and Alexis looks at the wine bottle. She puts “do I have a drinking problem” in Spyder Finder.

Finn tells Hayden that it’s like his wife all over again. She tried to get close to him and protect him. Hayden says she’s not his wife, and she’s not going to die. He wants her to get some tests and be monitored. She says nothing is wrong, and he needs to clean up the spill. He throws cat litter on it. Really? On toxic waste? Suddenly, Hayden is gone. Finn runs after her.

Danny comes downstairs. He’s worried about the smoke and Alexis says she’ll keep him safe.

Carly tells Jax she’s glad he’s there. They hug.

Michael thanks Nell for stepping into the middle of dysfunctional mess. She says she likes his family; dysfunctional or not, they’re good people. They say good night. Nell sees Jax hugging Carly. I get the distinct impression that Nell does not approve.

Sonny asks Griff about the priesthood. Griff says he took vows, and maybe if he keeps them, it will be better for everyone. Sonny wishes him luck, and says his father would be proud of him. He asks Griff to come to the funeral, and Griff says he would be honored. He tells Griff to take care of his family afterward, and leaves. Griff looks after him worriedly. Although that seems to be Griff’s natural expression. One of my dogs is like that. He has a perpetual worried look.

Maxie tells Nathan that Claudette lied for her daughter. She says he’s going to fight Valentin and she’s going to help.

Valentin tells Nina that he wishes Charlotte had a mother. Ding-ding-ding! The magic word. He orders a drink for Nina, and she smiles at him.

Hayden runs into Windemere. She apologizes for startling Laura. Laura tells Hayden about Valentin. She says she’s moving out and suggests that Hayden do the same. Hayden says it’s the least of her problems right now. Laura asks if she’s okay, and she says she just had a bad day at work.

Finn calls Hayden. He leaves a message that if she’s infected, it’s serious – a matter of life or death – and begs her to come back.

Hayden starts feeling warm and begins to hyperventilate. She passes out. The wind blows the window shut and the candles go out.

Tomorrow, Sam asks Alexis if she was drinking while watching Danny, Nell tells Sonny he’s making a mistake, and Elizabeth thinks Finn is an addict.

Little Women: LA – Reunion Part One

Gorgeous dresses a size smaller. I love Elena’s hair – she has blue ombre through the bottom half and it looks smashing. We flash back through the highlights of the season. Babies, lotus blossoms, Christy, Christy, Christy, Plastic, f-yous, fingers in faces. Host Kevin Frazier asks them how they all felt about it. Terra says there were highs and lows, and Briana says they’ve grown.

Kevin tells us that we’re jumping right into it, and brings out Matt. We flash back to Matt’s untrustworthiness and the infamous Plastic. Briana says she trusts Matt now, and Kevin asks stupid questions. He asks if the rest of the group believes Matt and crickets chirp. Christy claims the women asked her for proof and Tonya squashes that. Christy admits to being in contact with Plastic, and Matt says it was ages ago; he doesn’t even have any social media accounts now. He adds that he’d like to see proof that he said he has a fetish.

Christy talks about how she met Plastic through Briana, and Briana says Plastic wanted to ride some coattails onto the show. Christy says that Plastic came to her. Kevin says Plastic is going to join the group, and Briana and Matt walk out.

Plastic enters. Matt and Briana lose their mics and decide to leave. They shut the dressing room door behind them. Plastic tells Kevin that Briana doesn’t have coattails to ride, and she became friends with Briana because she felt sorry for her. She says Briana is desperate for attention and tries to climb the social ladder. Although I’m not sure what kind of social ladder this would be considered. Plastic claims to have a bigger career than Briana, but no one has ever heard of her, including me. She tells them that she and Matt started talking online and he started getting inappropriate. Christy says he’s not to be trusted. Jasmine asks about proof, and Plastic claims that when Matt deleted his account, it all disappeared, but that’s not how any of this works.

Kevin asks if Plastic has apologized to Briana, but she doesn’t think she needs to because Matt instigated things. Tonya brings up the photo shoot, and how she was gracious enough to invite Christy, but then Plastic showed up, yapping about things no one cared about. Within seconds, Plastic, Terra and Tonya are all talking at once. Plastic claims that later on, Tonya called up and insulted her about her transness again, and she’s releasing the recordings. Kevin suggests she break out the recordings right now, but like the losers on the court shows, she left the evidence at home. Terra says no way it was Tonya. Kevin asks what Plastic wants out of this.

Plastic goes on about how badly she was treated. She says she wanted to clear her name, not gain notoriety. Kevin asks if Tonya has a problem with trans people. She says of course not. Christy says that she doesn’t think Tonya was thinking when she spoke, and Tonya texted her later, apologizing. Kevin tells Plastic good-by. Well, that was uneventful.

Briana is back, without Matt. Briana says he’s tired of being harassed about their relationship. Kevin asks about her family thinking that Matt is isolating her. He asks if she can understand their concern, but Briana feels that it’s nobody’s business. Kevin tells her Radar Online is all interested in her now, but she doesn’t want to answer any questions. She says she talked about it in the beginning, but it’s not like she’s giving regular updates. Briana tells them that her family heard about Matt’s past and refused to give him a chance. They didn’t even meet him, but still formed a negative opinion.

Tonya admits the ladies weren’t impressed either. Briana says she feels that the girls were coming from a good place, but not so much her family. She isn’t sure about Christy. Christy admits she’d said that she wasn’t going to get involved, but when she met Plastic, she changed her mind. Tonya says they did tell Christy not to talk to Briana’s family. Christy agrees it wasn’t her place, but adds that they were all worried.

Christy says Briana’s family called her because they were concerned. Kevin brings up a court order that the family got to see Briana’s daughter, and asks if they’ll ever see Maverick. Briana doesn’t know, and says the last time she saw her father, it was when he delivered court papers from her ex-husband. Terra says she can see why Briana would feel the way she does. Me too. Who does that?

We take a trip down Memory Lane with the Terra/Christy fight. Charges, charges dismissed, Christy’s supposed concussion, Christy adding her medical records to the party invitation. Joe and Todd join the women. Joe thinks Terra and Christy should stay away from each other. He talks about how the police report affected their lives. Terra says in letting it go, they don’t need to stay friends. Todd agrees.

Terra asks Todd if he realized when he saw the film, that Christy was first to throw a “deadly weapon.” Joe insults them, and Todd says that before they came out, Joe told him he’s high as a kite. Joe tells Todd that he said it on purpose to see if Todd would repeat it, and calls him “Todd-ler.” Christy does the “we were all” hurt thing, and Joe asks why she’s the only one who’s allowed to pull the bully card. Christy insists she withdrew the police report, but Joe says she’s lying. Todd yaps about the medical records, and Kevin just happens to have a copy. He reads it and it’s basically how Christy claims she felt, along with a three centimeter contusion, but no treatment required.

Joe calls them on canceling the report. Elena tries to interject and starts yelling. She says Christy regretted her actions and tried to reverse them. Terra says it wasn’t Christy that stopped things, it was the DA, who said they had no case. Terra calls Christy stupid, and Christy stomps off to get a tissue. Kevin asks where they go from here, and Christy says forward, but they seem to be stuck in the past. Terra agrees that moving forward is the only way. I think they have two different definitions of what moving forward is though.

Matt is dragged back out. Kevin wants us to decide whether Matt or Christy was the problem, and we flash back to Christy getting involved with Briana’s family. If I’m going by these clips, I’d say Christy is the problem. Briana says she needed her friend to respect her. She says the Plastic thing was the final nail in the coffin. Christy says Briana’s family was asking about it. Kevin asks if Briana will ever forgive her, but she says not that behavior. Kevin asks Matt why he didn’t contact anyone when Briana was in the hospital. Matt tells them everything that was going on there, and it sounds like he had a pretty good excuse. Briana says she didn’t want anyone to know.

They discuss the yacht incident where Christy went crazy with name calling. Todd says he knows Christy stepped over the line and she regrets it deeply. Kevin asks where the comments came from. Christy starts talking about how they’d said she was using drugs. Kevin asks why she called Briana autistic and Christy desperately tries to avoid the question, but then admits that Briana’s sister told her that Briana has autism. There is seriously something wrong with this woman. Why would anyone want to be friends with her? And why does she consider autism an insult?

Everyone starts laughing, so I guess that isn’t true? Kevin tells Christy it’s inappropriate and ignorant. Christy goes on about being an addict and how it’s a disease. Terra says it’s not the same thing; you come out of the womb with autism. Christy says she regretted it immediately. Briana says what if she did have autism? Christy says Briana claimed she was popping pills, but Briana says she was referring to how Christy was behaving. Kevin says it sinks to the lowest common denominator when they have fights.

Somehow we get to Matt asking if he’s offended people. Joe brings up the oompa loompa comment, but he’s laughing. Kevin wonders if anyone can argue without derogatory comments, and suggests they get off that level. Jasmine says not with this group. Ha-ha!

Kevin asks Christy about her sobriety. She says she’s been sober for years. He asks if it’s strictly alcohol and she claims she’s never had pills. She says she was just super stressed. He asks if she’s relapsed. Christy says she’s done and walks off.

Next time, Terra accuses Christy of popping pills, the average-sized child argument rears its ugly head again, and Karla and Rhonnie make an appearance.

Below Deck

The crew gets the boat ready. Kyle informs the other deckhands that he’s not into dudes, but he likes transgender women. He’s been dating a trans woman for two years. Kelley says no judgements.

Kate asks Ben how his date with Emily went. He says they had dinner and went for a walk, and asks if they’re doing a morning tally. In his interview, he says he likes Emily, but doesn’t want to share that with Kate yet.

Emily tells Sierra about Kyle’s transgender girlfriend. They discuss if that makes him gay. Sierra is annoyed that he’s been pursuing her when he’s dating anyone else.

The primary guests are Liza and Lori who are best friends in the fashion business. They’re also bringing some gay male friends. They want a beach picnic, and are having a surprise drag show for Liza’s birthday. Kate says Kyle will be excited. In her interview, Kate says it’s funny how life works out. Kate tells Kelley it will be super fun.

Ben asks Kyle about his girlfriend. We see a couple of pictures and she’s very pretty. In his interview, Kyle says he never felt like he belonged until he met her. Ben asks about the physical transformation when taking hormones. Kyle says he figured if Kate is open, he can be too. Ben says it’s a beautiful thing. He seems genuinely curious and respectful, so I can see why Kyle doesn’t mind his questions. I wonder if I can get Valor shirts from the Bravo website.

Kate FaceTimes with Ro, who is annoyed that they can’t spend more time talking. Kate says she’s not used to being in a relationship where someone needs this much attention. She tells Ro she has to get to work.

The guests arrive and Captain Lee tells the crew that it’s show time. Aww! They have two little dogs with them. Kate gives the tour. The dogs aren’t wearing life vests and I don’t like that. The yacht pulls out and I marvel at the blue water.

One of the guests lets Kate in on some surprises he has for the drag show. She tells him one of the deck members has experience. In the galley, Kate tells Kyle all about the sequin gowns and wigs, and he’s psyched.

It’s beach picnic time. I know the crew always hates those, since there’s a lot of schlepping stuff back and forth. Kate decorates the table with shells and it looks beautiful. The captain calls Kelley to the bridge. Sierra is wearing a tiara (ha-ha!) while she helps Ben.

Kyle has decided Sierra is annoying. Sierra complains about Kyle to Emily. Kate tells Kyle to get the guests to the beach, but Kelley ends up taking them. Kyle complains to Emily and Ben about Sierra. Ben tells him to knock it off and Emily just laughs.

The picnic is amazing which is no surprise. Everything is always amazing. Emily and Ben sneak a little kiss in the kitchen. Kelley wants Sierra and Kyle to get over it and quit talking about each other. He tells Kyle to deal with it. He sends Kyle to the beach. Kate trusts the others with the guests and heads back to the boat. Kyle and Sierra take the giant umbrella down together, and Kelley radios to Kyle that now’s a good time. Kyle babbles and Sierra tells him he’s being dramatic. I’m not sure how she can tell, since I can barely understand what he’s saying. They have subtitles, but I wasn’t looking. Sierra calls Kyle a queen and I laugh. In his interview, he says if she didn’t know about his girlfriend she just would have called him a d*ckhead. In her interview, Sierra says she’s never had so much drama from a guy and wonders if it’s because she didn’t respond to him in the way he wanted. Back at the boat, Kyle whines to Kelley and Sierra whines to Lauren. Lauren wonders why Kelley would be so unprofessional as to interfere?

Ben makes a fabulous dinner. Filet and scallops. In the crew mess, Nico puts on a pink wig. I squee when I see one of the little dogs sleeping in a bed. They should dress the dogs up too. I get so concerned about these dogs not wearing life vests, I write something on Below Deck‘s Facebook page.

Ben tells Emily about his brother coming. She’s excited to meet him. She asks if he’s like Ben, and Ben says yes, but more eccentric. The slide is brought out. One of the guys puts on a Grecian gown and waves from a speedboat. Everyone is kind of doing something different and it all looks like fun. Ben is concerned that the conch is chewy, and Kate says it’s like conch flavored gum. Bleh. She says it’s edible, but not ready yet. Because Emily thinks it’s okay, Ben decides to serve it, but the guests think it’s too chewy. In her interview, Kate says I told you so.

The logistics of the drag show are discussed. The main attraction doesn’t lip sync very well. In his interview, Kyle says he can do something he’s good at, and if he has to wear a dress for it, fine.

Oooh! The table is gorgeous! Ben gives Kyle a taste of sea urchin and Kyle suddenly feels lightheaded. Uh-oh, he’s allergic. He starts getting red and asks for an antihistamine. He says he has to be careful with seafood. Why did he eat that then?

The guests sit down to dinner, but Kyle is passing out. Kate says he’s supposed to be in drag, not drugged, and he’s in a Benadryl coma. Kate does his makeup while he’s half-asleep. Ben gets the food going. Kate puts glitter in Kyle’s beard. Kyle sips a Red Bull. She tells him to keep away from flames. He says he looks like he’s been bombed by a Care Bear. The guests are thrilled with dinner. Kate tells them there are fireworks from the mainland tonight, so they’re having dessert on the main deck. This is a ruse to get them upstairs.

Cue the music. Kate tells the guests the fireworks are about to begin. The main entertainer and Kyle do some lip-syncing while Nico dances back-up. A confetti gun is shot. Glitter is everywhere. Nico says it’s all about the tips. It’s over all too quick. I would have liked to see more of that.

In the morning, Kyle still has glitter in his beard. Nico says it looks like he did nasty things with Tinkerbell. Kate makes a wreath out of a pink boa with little white lights in it and places it on one of the beds as a parting decoration. The guest is tickled pink. BA-DUM-CHH!

Time to go. Bye-bye little vestless dogs. Captain Lee gets the envelope and tells everyone good work. It’s time to gather in the crew mess. In his interview, Kyle says he sees Sierra for who she is now. Please. Captain Lee thought everything was perfect. He says the tip isn’t what they’re used to. At first I think he’s joking and it’s more than they usually get, but no. It’s $1,100 each. He says it happens. He tells them enjoy their night out – after the boat is finished.

Ben says his brother is coming and they’re going to get loose. And there he is. Ben says he’s the more reserved. Kate says she’s known James for a while and likes him better than Ben at this point. Ben introduces James around, and James gifts the crew with hand-rolled cigars. He asks how Ben’s cooking is and Kyle says Ben gave him an allergic reaction five minutes ago. James asks Emily how the date was in front of everyone. In her interview, Emily says Ben is more manly and James is more well groomed.

Ben and James go off for a night out. James tells Ben that the yacht is impressive. James sounds exactly like Ben. If I closed my eyes, I probably couldn’t tell the difference. They go out to dinner. Ben hopes for validation about Emily. James says Ben is doing better than he is.

Lauren and Nico start drinking on the boat. Kyle asks Kate if he can sleep in the master bedroom tonight. It has a big, real bed, and a TV, on which he’s hoping to see boobies. Kate gives the okay.. Lauren and Nico goof around in the room and nearly break something. Nico pours more alcohol into Lauren’s mouth.

Kate, Sierra and Emily hang out and talk. Ben and James are headed back, and Ben drops his pants on the dock. James takes a picture. Ben walks to the boat with no pants on. And I mean half nakey. He sheds the rest of his clothes before they get back on the boat.

Nico chugs fireball. Kate tells the three of them not to make a mess and hopes there isn’t another pizza-on-the-floor incident. Kyle thinks Lauren has no respect for the interior. Ben wanders around wearing a hoodie like a loin cloth. Kyle’s quiet evening of boobies has taken a different turn. Ben breaks something in the bathroom and says they’re screwed.

Next time, an obnoxious repeat guest, the captain confines the crew, and Nico and Kelley butt heads.

November 1, 2016 – Valentin Rocks PC, Eddie Rocks Things at the Hospital & Kyle Rocks Below Deck

Standard

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Nell is in Carly’s office. She pulls out a note from (what I assume is) her purse. Michael pops in, asking if she’s okay. She shoves the note back in the bag.

Anna and Robin ate all of the candy geared for Emma, and Anna thinks they should post her reaction on the internet. I vote yes. Robin says Port Charles is home, and Anna says she’s glad Robin is there. She wants to discuss some things face to face. The doorbell rings. It’s Griff with Charlotte. He says they need Anna’s help.

Julian meets Ava at the bar. He wonders if he’ll have to duck a swing from Carly. Ava tells him he has no idea what “he” did to them. Julian wonders what the blip she’s talking about.

At Alexis’s house, Sam asks her if what Valentin said is true. Jason joins them, and Sam tells him Valentin is in Port Charles.

Valentin comes to the Crimson office. He tells Nina he told her she’d see him again, and here he is. Love to hate Valentin.

Griff introduces Charlotte to Robin. Well, kind of. She’s sleeping on Griff’s shoulder. He deposits her upstairs. Robin asks if this is what Anna wanted to talk to her about and Anna says yes. Griff explains that Charlotte is his daughter; a daughter he just found out about two days ago. Griff tells Anna that Valentin is legally free and Dante confirmed it. Anna calls Dante to see what she can find out. Robin tells Griff that if Valentin is as dangerous as the rest of the family, he’s right to seek Anna’s help.

Ava tells Julian that Valentin is in town, and apparently the owner of Windemere. She doesn’t know how that happened, but she’s the only witness to Nicholas’s murder. Valentin is a cold-blooded killer and who is the next logical person on his list? Julian says she has nothing to worry about, and doesn’t she think if Valentin was going to kill her he would have done it before he showed up in Port Charles? He tells Ava he’ll protect her regardless.

Nina asks if Valentin isn’t supposed to be in prison. He says he’s been exonerated. He tells her that he shot Nicholas in self-defense and shot Doc by accident. He shows her the papers, and she asks what about the attempted kidnapping of Spencer, reminding him that she’s the one who turned him in. He says she’s too beautiful to hold a grudge against.

Sam explains to Jason what happened at Windemere, and how Valentin revealed himself. She says he checked into a hotel to give them a few days to adjust. Alexis says her half-brother is confident Port Charles will be his permanent address.

Nell tells Michael she’s just distracted and she’s finishing up some work for Carly who went home. Michael says he’s not there to talk to Carly; he came there to find her. He wants to thank her for looking after Avery and his dad. He also thanks her for what she told him on the bridge. She helped him see what his father is going through. He was so busy blaming him, he didn’t see that Sonny is a wreck too.

Jason doesn’t understand how Valentin ended up walking away. Alexis says there were lapses with the Greek police. Sam reminds him of how wound up Valentin was on Cassadine Island, and says that now he’s relaxed because he knows they can’t touch him. Sam suddenly doubles over.

Robin tells Griff about when she was held prisoner on Cassadine Island, but says she’s never heard of Valentin. Anna comes back. She says the good news is, Charlotte’s name hasn’t come up. Griff explains the connection between Charlotte and Valentin to Robin. Griff thinks it’s no coincidence that Valentin showed up when Claudette disappeared. Anna agrees.

Nina tells Valentin that he has a lot of nerve and asks what he wants. He assures her he’s sane, and apologizes for not being as forthcoming as he should have been when they met. He says even as he was being led off to prison, he couldn’t stop thinking about her. Nina says he must have heard Spencer was sent away and is pursuing him, but decided to stop by and see if she still buys his lines. She doesn’t. He says he has no interest in Spencer; he came back to see her.

Sam tells Jason something is wrong. Alexis says the ambulance is on its way. Jason carries Sam outside.

Ava tells Julian that she wonders if things would be different if she’d made different choices. If Nicholas had lived, she might have fallen in love with him and chosen differently about a lot of things. Julian says she seems scared, like she’s torturing herself about something in the past. She says it doesn’t matter; she can’t change it and they all have their secrets. She tells Julian that he should be worried about Sonny. Sonny almost strangled Scotty, and his hatred for Scotty is a drop in the bucket compared to his hatred for Julian. Julian says he’s not concerned.

Griff tells Robin that he has to take what Claudette said about Valentin to heart, even though she’s lied about everything else. He thinks the timing is too close to be a coincidence. Anna says she thinks Claudette believes the safest place for Charlotte is with him. Anna tells Robin that Claudette boarded a flight to Canada, but never entered the country, so is probably traveling under an assumed name. Griff wonders if Valentin thinks he can get what he wants by targeting Charlotte, and thinks that he might even have Claudette.

Valentin tells Nina that she’s very compelling. He tells her about his family, and says they weren’t exactly welcoming. She says she’s not into him at all, and doesn’t want to see him again. He tells her she’s a beautiful woman, but a terrible liar.

Jason and Alexis wait at the hospital. The doctor says there are no signs of distress to the baby or evidence of miscarriage. Alexis tells Jason to go in to see Sam and call to let her know what’s going on. She needs to get back to her wine. She doesn’t say that last part, but… Jason goes into Sam’s room and tells her that he’s sorry. She asks why.

Michael tells Nell that he needs to focus on his mom. Nell asks if that means he can’t be with Sonny too. He says Carly isn’t trying to keep him away from Sonny, but she can’t stand to be in the same room with him. He knows if Sonny had acted differently, Morgan would still be alive. (The theme for today: If things had gone differently.) Nell says she shouldn’t have given him any advice, since she has no concept of what they’re going through. Michael tells her that if she could find reasons to stop by the house, he’d appreciate it. Just showing up might make a difference. Nell says she likes Avery and his father, but doesn’t know how much good she can do. He asks to return the favor and says whatever it is, he can listen.

Griff checks on Charlotte. Anna says he’s been a father for a minute and he’s had to be all-consumed with keeping her safe. Robin wonders if he really understands what he’s dealing with.

Valentin tells Nina that he knows he’s not the only one who thinks about that night. She says that’s when he was sweet Theo. She wonders how she could be so wrong about him. She asks again what he wants. He comes there out of the blue, thinking something between them was important and meant something, when it was just a hook up. She says she’s moving on, and he says he can change her mind. She says she doesn’t want to see him, let alone sleep with him. She tells him that if he thinks he can get through this town being charming, he has a rude awakening coming.

Jason tells Sam everything is okay. He apologizes for losing his temper. Sam says with Valentin back in the picture, she feels like she’s dealing with Julian all over again. Jason says Valentin isn’t worth going after, and doesn’t care what he does, as long as it doesn’t affect them.

Alexis gets home and zeros in on the liquor delivery box. She calls Molly and leaves a message to call back. She messes around on her laptop. She leaves a message for Kristina to call her back. The box beckons. She wanders around, drinks water, goes through the mail. The box keeps calling. She finally opens it and pulls out a bottle. She pours some into one of the biggest wine glasses I’ve ever seen – although not as big as Amy Schumer’s – and takes a drink.

Julian tells Ava to trust him. She says ordinarily she’d laugh, but nothing about this is funny. He says Sonny isn’t going to make a move on him. Ava wonders if Jason has been filled in. She thinks he might be useful in dealing with Valentin. Julian asks if Alexis was there when Valentin showed up.

Alexis is in full party mode. Now she’s guzzling the wine and gets up to open another bottle.

Sam is going to be monitored through the night as a precaution. Jason says he’ll stay with her. He says all she has to do is sleep. She drifts off.

Griff brings Charlotte downstairs and asks if Anna minds if she stays on the couch, since he wants to keep an eye on her. He says until a few weeks ago, he didn’t know she existed; until a few days ago, he didn’t know he was a father; and now he just wants to protect her and give her what she needs.

Valentin asks if Nina is having a baby. She says the books on her desk are for article research. Valentin says children make for an interesting story, and looks forward to reading it

Anna says Valentin is a mercenary with powerful friends. Robin asks if Anna knows what the next step is. Anna says she knows what she has to do.

Nell tells Michael that she already feels close to the family. She sees the pain they’re in, and how huge it was to lose Morgan. Michael says it’s late and asks if she wants him to walk her out. Nell says she has work to finish up and he leaves. She takes the note back out. We don’t see the whole thing, but it’s signed, “your father.

Ava is surprised that the bloom isn’t off the rose with Alexis, especially after everything that happened. Julian says he’s not ready to let their chance go yet. He’s concerned about Alexis, but Ava says Valentin has other fish to fry. Julian tells her that he has other concerns about Alexis.

Jason tries calling Alexis, but she doesn’t answer. He leaves a message and says he’ll be with Sam at the hospital. Alexis doesn’t answer because she’s passed out.

Griff prays, asking God to help him and strengthen Charlotte. He asks for help to be a good father and to protect her.

Anna talks to Robert on the phone about Valentin. She says this is the case she wants to work on, and wants to start officially asap.

Nina asks Valentin to leave; he’s boring her. He says he’s never boring. As he leaves, he tells her to look on page 302 if she’s interested. After he’s gone, she looks in the baby name book, seeing his name. It means strong, vigorous and healthy. It’s also associated with a fertility festival that connects it to Valentine’ Day and love. She holds the book to her chest.

Tomorrow, Obrecht gives Franco relationship advice, Tracy is optimistic, and Valentin visits Alexis.

If Loving You is Wrong

Eddie asks Pete how he’s doing. Pete can barely speak. Eddie might be ridiculous, but he’s also scarey. He smacks Pete, telling him to wake up. Eddie tells him that the hospital says he’s going to pull through. The question is, is that a good thing? Pete says it is. He tells Eddie he should leave (insert Family Feud wrong answer sound here), and Eddie says he’ll leave when he’s ready.

He says Pete has his tape. Pete pretends like he’s never even heard of the invention of video. He asks how Eddie got in and Eddie says even the FBI has to pee. He says he’ll leave when Pete answers him. He asks if he gave the captain the tape, but Pete says he can’t remember. Eddie tells him to keep acting like he doesn’t remember. Maybe it will be to his advantage, maybe not. He asks what Pete did with the copy; he knows Pete must have made one. He starts manhandling Pete, pressing on his wounds. Pete tries not to scream and Eddie says to tell him what he knows. Eddie is the worst.

Pete tells Eddie he doesn’t know. Eddie seems to accept this. Ew! His hand is all bloody. He tells Pete to get some rest. Now Pete is babbling. Eddie shoots something into one of Pete’s tubes. Ben stops the FBI guy in the hallway, and Eddie sneaks out behind him. Pete pulls the tube out. Outside the door, Ben acts like an idiot, praising the FBI guy and saying how great the organization is. Pete passes out. Why didn’t he try to press a button or something?

Andrew has found Alex’s wrecked car, but no Alex. He thinks she must have walked away. On the phone, Steven tells him to check the area and to be careful, since it’s out of his jurisdiction. Andrew asks if he should call the local sheriff. Steven says it’s already done and gets testy when Andrew asks if he should follow that up.

Andrew calls Lushion, who is still at the hospital with Natalie. Lushion tells him it’s not a good time, but Andrew says they found Alex’s car and it’s a wreck, but no Alex. He tells Lushion that Steven sent him out there and he doesn’t have a good feeling; he thinks he should go to internal affairs. Lushion keeps telling him it’s not a good time, but Andrew is starting to panic. Lushion tells Andrew that his son has been shot. He says if Andrew has a bad feeling to go back; he should trust his feelings. Andrew says he’s got this, and Lushion should go back to his family. If everything goes to the Eddie side, half the cast will be dead by the end of the episode.

Lushion calls Esperanza. He asks what’s going on, and what’s up with the kidnapping. She says she doesn’t have a lot of details and she hadn’t wanted to bother him. He wonders about Randal’s mother being guarded at the hospital. Esperanza explains that Randal’s mom said Brad did it. Lushion says that must be why Ben and Eddie are there. Esperanza tells Lushion that Ben is an idiot and Lushion should keep an eye on things. Lushion says he has his hands full, so Esperanza says she’ll call the captain. Lushion says he’ll take care of it and call a friend of his who’s an ex-cop. I just have to interject that Louise had said it was “the man next door,” which Esperanza pointed out last week. Consistency, people!

She tells Lushion there’s stuff going on at the station that doesn’t make any sense. They have to talk at some point, but not on the phone. Lushion tells her not to share anything she knows with Eddie. She realizes Lushion is confirming that Eddie is a dirty cop. Like he’s not obvious about it.

Ben is nodding out, sitting next to Louise. Eddie comes in and sees Eddie has been screwing with Louise’s morphine and taking some for himself. He tells Ben he’s going to another place, and asks if Ben is nuts, shooting up an IV drug in a hospital. Ben apologizes and Eddie tells him to stay out of his way. He looks at Louise and says, so this is the thing that gave the world Randal. He smacks her face. He wants to find out what she knows about Brad. Eddie says it’s sad, and Eddie makes fun of him, calling him a junkie. He says he’s tired of hearing his sappy ass. He tells Ben when Louise wakes up to get him. Ben says the captain told him to call Steven and he’ll get in trouble. Eddie tells him to understand the world he lives in and he’s trouble.

Ben says he wouldn’t need the medicine if Eddie hadn’t shot his hand off. Eddie asks what’s wrong with him. While they’re arguing, the nurse comes in and says she was looking for Ben. Ben says he had to use the bathroom, and she says it’s down the hall. She has Marcie with her and asks if she’s on the approved visitor list. Eddie says yes, and he’ll stay while she’s there.

Eddie tells Marcie he’s sorry about Randal. She says tell someone who cares. He says he didn’t want him see killed, and she asks if he’s dead. Eddie says that’s the status; they’re looking for a dead body. He says she must be glad, since they made her a laughing stock. She says it’s not a happy situation and he calls her a weak ass bitch. She slaps him and I laugh. Then Eddie laughs, and it’s slap, laugh, repeat a few times. He says something inside must make her happy that Randal got what’s coming to him.

He suggests she stick with Brad and that Brad really likes her. Then he switches gears and says that maybe they cooked this up together. He says this puts a new spin on things, and because he’s an officer of the law she has to answer all of his questions. She says she’s not afraid of him, and he can call her lawyer. She tells him to get out, and he says for now, but she’ll be seeing him and his invetstigation team soon enough. She says he’s disgusting, and he leaves.

Lousie seconds that. She tells Marcie that Alex’s parents are going to kill Randal. Marcie asks if Louise has called the police. Louise says she’s been pretending to be asleep. She says that Ben took her drugs and Eddie is talking about killing someone and slapped her three times. She tells Marcie that what’s happening is a federal offense and to call the FBI. Marcie doesn’t know how to do it. I guess she’s never heard of Google. Louise tells her to find her purse at the house and get her phone. She gives Marcie the password, telling her to look through the phonebook and call Gary Henderson, her cousin. He’ll kow what to do. She tells Marcie to help Randal. Marcie says she will, and she’ll be back.

Oh crap. Ben looks in. Louise pretends to be asleep again.

Eddie approaches Lushion. He says Lushion has a lot to worry about. Lushion says he’ll just worry about Eddie. Eddie leaves, telling Lushion to watch himself. Lushion sees Marcie and asks if she’s there to see Natalie. She says no, she’s there to see Louise. Marcie tells Lushion what Louise told her about Alex’s parents kidnapping Randal. She wants him to call the FBI. He says there are problems at the police station, but they don’t include him. He says Eddie is at the center, but he’s good guy and on her side. Marcie says she needs to get Louise’s purse and asks him to keep watch. He says it’s difficult right now and Marcie tells him about Ben stealing the morphine and how Louise is pretending to be asleep. Lushion says he’ll make sure she’s safe. They’re certainly making this call to the FBI more complicated than it needs to be.

Lushion sees Ben nodding in the chair. He asks what’s going on and if there were any visitors. At first Ben says no one, but then says Marcie. Lushion asks about officers and Ben says no. Lushion says he saw Eddie a while ago, and asks if he came by. Ben says he hasn’t seen him. Lushion says Ben seems smart, but then wants to play stupid. Ben says he didn’t see him, and Lushion smacks him. (Lots of smacking going on tonight.) Ben says okay, he stopped by. Lushion wonders how he forgot so quickly. He asks how long Ben has been on drugs. He pushes up Ben’s sleeve and sees the track marks.

He asks what Eddie was doing there, and smacks Ben again. Ben says he just wanted to know if Louise was awake. Lushion says and what else, and Ben tells him Eddie was looking for information about the kidnapping. Eddie wants a call when she wakes up. Lushion asks why he’s not calling the captain, and says the moment she opens her eyes, Ben is to call him too. He tells Ben to stop swaying before he smacks him again. Then he tells him to sit down and make sure no one goes in.

Lushion goes into Louise’s room. He says he spoke to Marcie and she doesn’t have to pretend. Louise stays asleep. He says okay, he’ll tell her about himself. He believes in upholding the law, and he’s here to help her and help find her son. He says Brad is at the station and they’re spending a lot of time that could be spent finding Randal. He says he knows it’s hard to trust, but if she can, he believes he can help find him. Still nothing. He says she doesn’t have to trust him, but don’t trust the idiot outside her door or any other officer.

She opens her eyes. He says if she feels comfortable, maybe she can tell him the last time she saw Randal and who was there. He says he’s not in a rush, but time is of the essence. He leaves his card and says call him any time. She can ask Marcie; he’s on the right side. He tells her to remember not to talk to any of the officers. He leaves and she looks at his card.

Ben asks Lushion what happened, and Lushion tells him to sit his ass down. Nobody in or out. Ben nods out again. Lushion calls Lamont. He says he needs another officer at St. Andrews for Louise. He says it’s getting crazy there.

Alex walks down a dark road. She sees a car and tries to flag it down. It’s a cop car. It’s Andrew. He tells her that he’s from Maxine, and she asks if he’s alone and if Eddie is with him. He says they have to go to the station and gets out of the car. She says her son is in danger and he’s at her parents’ house. When he asks how she knows, she says she just does. He tries to get her into the car and she tells him that she saw them take the baby. She refuses to get in the car unless he’s taking her there. He tells her that he has to call it in, to get in the front seat, and that she’s safe. Alex gets in and Andrew follows on the driver’s side.

Lushion yells at the FBI guy and tells him to find him, but I missed who. Did Pete disappear? Is he talking about Eddie? Dammit!

Marcie calls Kelly. She says Brad didn’t do it. Louise told her it was Alex’s parents. Kelly is like, thank God, but Marcie says they’re still out there. Marcie says she’s coming home and then says she doesn’t feel so good. Kelly says it’s just everything that’s going on. Marcie says Louise wants her to call the FBI. She drops to the ground and Kelly calls to her, but there’s no answer.

Rusty and company take Randal out of the box. They drag him through the woods and toward a building.

Next time, Esperanza tells Brad about Alex’s parents, Kelly tells Lushion that Marcie is in trouble, Alex calls Esperanza, and Travis threatens Kelly.

Below Deck

Captain Lee and Kate on Watch What Happens Live tonight – can’t wait!

Kate recalls how rude Nico and Lauren were the drunken night before. Ben and Emily giggle over their first date. Kyle is moody, saying that if Sierra comes to London, he’s leaving town. Kelley is pissed because he got called on the carpet.

Sierra talks to Emily about Kelley going off on her because he was jealous of Emily’s date with Ben. She’s also having to deal with Kyle, who’s feelings are hurt because she put him in the friend zone.

The captain talks to Kelley about the pizza on the floor, saying not that long ago, he had to reprimand them about a take-out sushi mess. He says if he has to address the issue one more time, they’ll be confined. Respecting the boat is a carved-in-stone rule.

Kate tells Ben about Kelley yelling at Sierra. She says he’s used to being the guy all the girls want and the best deckhand, and he’s on a spiral bender. Kelley joins them and asks if Kate wants to talk. She says too many things have happened in too short an amount of time. In his interveiw, Kelley says he’ll kiss Kate’s ass until they leave.

Ben tells Kelley he had already sent Emily flowers, and Kelley says he wouldn’t have gotten involved had he known that. Ben says sorry and it’s all cool.

Emily calls her family. She tells her dad about going on the date with Ben and he calls her a naughty girl and uses the pet name “rabbit.” They sound cute.

The captain calls Kate, Ben and Kelley to the crew mess. The primary is Rebecca, a psychic medium who contacts the dead. Kelley calls her a whacko immediately, and Kate thinks only stupid people aren’t open to the supernatural. They require a spiritual yoga session and a psychic dinner party. Other psychics will be with them and some dudes. Kate jokes around, explaining gluten to Ben.

Kelley has a powwow with Nico and Lauren about the pizza thing. He says he talked with the captain about disrespecting the boat, and they’re on their third strike. He tells them that they’ll have to be psychic themselves and be extra careful this charter. No doubt Lauren and Nico are rolling their eyes in their minds.

The crew puts on their happy faces for the guests’ arrival. Rebecca thinks there’s something familiar about the boat. OMG – it’s the guys from The People’s Couch – Scott, Emerson and Blake. When is that show back on anyway? Kate does the boat tour and Kelley discusses activities with the guests. AND THERE’S LUNCH. It’s some kind of curried lobster and I’m dying. I had vegetable soup for dinner. Everyone loves the food and Ben says they must be quasi-human.

The water toys are brought out. While the guests are doing something else, the pool starts to float away. Nico wonders why they can’t just be a functional deck crew. Captain Lee says a very expensive piece of equipment is floating into the sunset in front of the guests.

It’s time for the psychic dinner party. I always love their table settings. This one is all stars and planets and such, with faux crystal balls at each place. And Captain Lee is totally dressed up in his formal uniform. Ha-ha! They have the same salad tongs we used to use for our RHPS reenactments back in the day. Rebecca tells the captain that his mother is there, but she hasn’t passed away. This is way too funny. Rebecca gets flustered. In his interview, Captain Lee says it’s a crock. Rebecca keeps trying, saying he’s always been in love with the sea. He never even saw it until he was 35. She bats a thousand.

Scott gives his seat to Kate for a reading. Rebecca tells her that she’ll have a dog one day. What? Rebecca talks about a man being close to her. HAHAHA! Tall, dark and handsome. I didn’t know they actually said that. Ben wonders if she’s talking about him. In her interview, Kate says she is dating someone tall and dark, but they’re lesbians. This psychic is not good at her job at all.

For whatever reason, Emily thinks Rebecca is talking about Ben, and he makes sure they’re good. He tells her that he does love Kate, but not that way. It’s way windy – why didn’t the psychic predict this? – so the captain moves on. A lot of the guests get seasick. Kelley leaves to pick up the yoga instructor. She’s tiny with a Minnie Mouse voice. Some of the guests do yoga and a few opt for some food. I’m in the latter group. I would have Ben cooking the entire time.

Ben wants to know what the first meal of the day is called because he needs structure. He demands to know if it’s brunch or breakfast. Kate says the primary is sick and she’s not interrupting the yoga class. There’s a mini-argument.

The captain calls Kelley to the wheelhouse. He wants to know what happened with the pool. Kelley throws Kyle under the bus for not attaching a line. In his interview, Captain Lee says the deck crew isn’t living up to expectation.

Ben says it would be nice if someone knew when they guests were eating, incluing the guests. The captain radios them to hold it down, since he can hear them on the bridge, which means the guests can too. Emerson and Blake make jokes about mommy and daddy fighting. Ben pops his head in and says sorry. They tell him that as long as the drinks keep coming, they’re fine. Truth!

Ben apologizes to Emily for fighting with Kate, since it’s not a good look, and then apologizes to Kate. It’s dinner time. At least I think it’s called dinner. It’s filet mignon anyway. Rebecca talks about her vast experience. She thinks her mother is leaving phone messages and God is telling her she’s right. After dinner, one of the psychics sits down for a reading with Emily. Ben horns in and asks if he and Emily have a future. She’s hesitant and says she doesn’t know everything. In her interview, Lauren thinks he’s being unprofessional and Emily thinks it’s inappropriate.

Ben asks the psychic if he and Emily will work out, and the psychic says no. So he asks Emily for a date. She says okay, but in her interview says that she doesn’t like the circumstances, and feels under pressure and out of sorts. Ben says he’ll see them both in the morning, and the psychic asks him not to poison her coffee. Not too awkward. I have to mention that Emily has rainbow earrings that match her headband and I totally approve.

Sierra tells Ben it was an intense and interesting night. She wonders why Emily said she was out of sorts. When Ben explains, Sierra tells him he was stupid. He tells her to get lost, and she asks if it went well. When he says no, she repeats that it was stupid. In his interview, Ben says he thought you’re supposed to challenge psychics. I dunno about that. They never receive it well when they’re wrong. I’ve seen John Edward have a few hissy fits when challenged.

It’s time for the guests to leave. Ben apologizes to Emily again. Rebecca tells Ben there’s still some good stuff going on, and they were the best crew ever. She thanks them for being open. Afterward, Emily asks who she was looking at when she said that to Ben, and Sierra says it was Emily and that Ben really likes her.

Ben calls older brother James, and asks him to come for a visit. When he asks why, Ben says he misses him and it would be a good time.

The tips is $15,000, $1350 each. Captain Lee chastises the deck crew for not being able to get it together with the pool. Nico implies it was Kelley’s fault. The captain doesn’t care what prompted it, and tells them just don’t let it happen again. He tells them to enjoy their afternoon, but remember tomorrow is a hard work day.

Nico and Kyle make fun of Kelley. Everyone gets ready to go out.

Ben and Emily go to dinner. They’re glad to be away from the crazies. Lauren and Nico check out the full moon from the boat. Kate uses her facial cleansing brush while talking to Ro.

Ben is ticked about what the psychic said, and Emily tells him to forget about it. She says to just look at it as a shared experience. He suggests they go for a stroll. They go to a really pretty tiki-ish beach place. Emily thinks he’s a true gentleman. She gets the hiccups. He says he knows a cure, and kisses her. She says it worked.

Ben and Emily sit and talk back at the boat. In her interview, Kate says they’re on a cloud of happiness. Kyle and Kate join them, and Kyle shows them videos of himself “doing stupid stuff.” We see one of him dancing on stage and he says he came out to his dad with this song, confusing everyone.

He talks about having a trans woman girlfriend at the time. He says when he was younger, he was hanging out at bars and hooked up with a trans woman by accident, and realized it was his preference. In his interview, he says at first he thought he was bi-sexual, but it was more specific. Ben says he’s fond of Kyle and doesn’t want to pry, but has no knowledge of these things. We see pics of Kyle with his girlfriend. Ben says he’s full of surprises and Kate says she knew she liked him. I like him too, but why was he so miffed about Sierra then?

Next time, Kyle discusses his sexuality, there’s a surprise drag show, and a chewy conch.

Side note: The movie Trolls looks great, but I’m getting tired of little trolls dancing at the bottom of the screen while I’m trying to watch the show.

October 25, 2016 – GH’s Franco is a Hospital Hero, ILYIW’s Eddie is Still an Idiot, & Below Deck’s Kelley Gets in Everyone’s Business

Standard

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Elizabeth and Franco are at the police station. Franco says he has the last piece of evidence and tells Elizabeth they can seal the deal. Jordan asks what this is about, and Franco tells her they can close the case.

Julian thanks Nina for not judging him, but she tells him not to be too sure about that.

Outside the bar, Alexis tells Sonny how sorry she is about Morgan. As she sips some wine.

Jason is still looking for the broker, but he only has a name and the guy is hard to find. Max says it doesn’t make sense. He tells Jason that Carly went back to her own place and says Jason has to take care of things.

Scotty meets Ava at the bar. He’s wondering if she was just being a drama queen, saying she was in a situation where she might not come out alive. She says she got Morgan’s medication and Scotty says good, she covered her tracks. She says she killed Morgan, and he tells her that she’s being melodramatic. She says she set the events in motion that killed him, and Sonny will kill her if he finds out. In true soap opera fashion, Sonny comes up behind her and says, finds out what?

Franco tells Jordan it’s a pleasure being there and not being in cuffs. She tells him the night is still young. Elizabeth tells her that Franco knows who tried to kill Bobbie and Lucas. He gives Jordan a recording of Heather’s confession. He says they should all be getting back to work since idle hands are the devil’s workshop.

Finn and Hayden are getting busy and there’s a knock at the door. Finn says they don’t need any towels, but it’s Tracy. She asks if that’s any way to treat her after he asked her for a huge favor. Hayden tells him to ignore it, but he can’t. Tracy asks what he was doing and then sees Hayden. She says last night’s social engagement took an unexpected social turn, and asks if he ended up jousting for her hand.

Alexis is on the phone telling someone that she’s with the girls, but she’s really swilling wine.

Nina says Julian stole the fruit basket and Julian tells her that he delivered it personally to Sonny. She’s surprised he’s still breathing.

Max tells Jason that he needs to stop Sonny now, before he starts to spiral. Sam comes in with Danny in a pirate costume. Max leaves, telling Jason to think about what he said. Sam steers Danny to cookies in the kitchen, and asks Jason why Max was there. Jason says Max is worried about Sonny and he is too.

Sonny wants to know what Ava was talking about. He asks what she knows that he doesn’t. She says she knows something about Morgan that she hasn’t told him.

Jordan tells Franco she’ll look into the possibility, but does he really expect her to believe Heather escaped from prison and came back? Franco says its his mother they’re talking about, but Jordan says the tape doesn’t prove anything.

Tracy says she told Finn to stay out of it, but obviously he didn’t listen. She asks if he hit Hayden’s date with a club and dragged her back by the hair. Hayden says she doesn’t need saving, and Tracy says that’s what she told Finn. Tracy asks if Hayden seduced him and if she expects her job back because they’re all lovey-dovey. She says she’d have had more respect for Hayden if she’d just asked.

Scotty suggests the only one responsible is Sonny. Ava says Morgan thought Kiki was breaking up with him; he was drinking and obviously out of control. She says she tried to reason with him and stop him, but he wouldn’t listen. She was one of the last people to see Morgan alive, and can’t stop thinking about what she should have done. She says his death isn’t entirely Sonny’s fault. Sonny walks away, and Scotty tells Ava that was good. She screeches at him that he’s the one who stopped her from going after Morgan.

Alexis says she’s spending quality time together with the girls and acts like she has to go. She hangs up and runs into Sonny. He hands her a drink. He says the last time he saw Morgan, he was so angry that he couldn’t even look at him. Sonny says he should have told Morgan that it was okay and he would always be there for him. Alexis says there’s no way he could have known what was going to happen. Sonny says that Morgan was drowning and hurting, but he told Morgan that he was disappointed in him and let him go out the door. Alexis puts her arm around him.

Jason talks about when Sonny’s first wife Lily died, and how he just did whatever Sonny needed until he came out of it, but the second time, Sonny was diagnosed as bi-polar and got medication, which finally leveled him out. Sam wonders if Sonny is going to break down again. Jason says he has to stop it, and asks about their plans to move. Sam says it can wait. Their family needs them. She’s never seen Sonny break down, but losing Morgan, especially if he had a hand in it, has to be the worst pain of his life.

Tracy says so Hayden just happened to spend the night and she gets a call from Finn? Hayden doesn’t know anything about it. Finn says Hayden is great at ELQ and Tracy is letting their history interfere. Hayden thinks he did this to get rid of her.

Jordan is going to look for actual proof, but as it stands, she can’t close the case. Franco has figured out which guard helped Heather, and produces a canceled check made out to a guard named Rob who bought a condo recently. He shows Jordan a car rental agreement for Heather, and also has a confession from low level drug dealer who sold the drug to the guard. Elizabeth can’t believe he did all this. He says he wouldn’t know what he’d do without her if she moves to Rochester.

Sam says it won’t bring Morgan back if Jason finds the broker. Jason says it might calm down Sonny though.

Ava says she was worried about Morgan and Scotty stopped her. Scotty says she’s the one who switched the meds because she wanted Morgan and Kiki to break up, and she succeeded. She says she told Morgan that Kiki was with Dillon, and she set him up to be jealous. All she was trying to do was protect her daughter. She starts to cry and Scotty awkwardly hugs her.

Julian asks if Nina would miss him. She says she doesn’t like him, but she doesn’t wish him dead. He didn’t destroy her life, he only dismantled the magazine. He says he has a long way to go before working his way back to Alexis. Nina says try never. He says Alexis means everything to him, and if he can redeem himself to his children, things might change.

Alexis tells Sonny that she can’t imagine what he’s going through. She says all the cousins were close growing up, and Sonny was a big part in bringing them together. She says he gave Morgan a good life. Sonny says Carly doesn’t think so, and tells Alexis that she left. He says Michael blames him too, and Dante is looking for evidence against him. Alexis says Kristina blames Julian, and Sonny asks what about her?

Tracy says she was considering rehiring Hayden, but now she wouldn’t have her clean floors. She tells Finn the next time he wants a favor, try something simple, like smuggling drugs. After she leaves, Hayden says Finn should have just asked her to get out of his life.

Franco asks Jordan if its the final piece of the puzzle.

Danny brings out a book and Sam says it’s a grown-up book. She explains mommy and daddy are having a baby and he’s going to have a little brother or sister. Danny says it’s way better than a puppy and asks if they can name the baby Scout.

Scotty tells Ava that she has to live with what she did. He’s her lawyer and her friend, and doesn’t want her stuck. He says they all have regrets.

Alexis tells Sonny that this all started because of the mess she made. If she’d done her job, Julian would be in prison and this wouldn’t have happened. Sonny says Julian offered a truce because he’s afraid Sonny is going to kill him. Alexis asks if he is, and Sonny asks if she wants another drink. She says she has to go home. She says what happened to Morgan is a tragedy, but not one single person is to blame, not even Sonny. She kisses his forehead and leaves.

Ava and Scotty come outside. Sonny says, there’s the reason his son is dead.

Finn tells Hayden to explain how him asking Tracy to give her a job is getting rid of her. She says he’s pushing her away in the kindest way possible. Finn says he doesn’t want to be her cause. She says he can’t let himself feel anything for any woman except his wife.

Tracy asks Jordan if there’s been any progress. Jordan tells Tracy about Heather.

Elizabeth tells Franco he’s a good man; he gave her back her health and her livlihood. She asks how he got he drug dealer to talk. He says at the risk of alienating her, there are times when he can appear reverted to his old ways and the bad man thought he was badder. He asks if that bothers her.

Nina tells Julian that Alexis was on trial for a murder he committed and then he tried to kill her. He says Alexis loves him. Nina sees Alexis at the bar and says she doesn’t look like a woman in love. She tells Julian to leave Alexis alone for once.

Scotty tells Ava not to listen, but Sonny says he’s talking to him. If Julian hadn’t walked, his son will be alive. Scotty says it’s karma. Scotty’s daughter lost her life, and now Sonny’s son is gone in return.

Finn says he watched Hayden as she slept and he felt happier and more alive since any day after his wife died. It did scare him, and maybe he thought he was betraying his wife, but he wanted to give Hayden something better to focus on than him. He says when she woke up and kissed him, he wasn’t thinking about anything except her. She says his wife keeps him in limbo, so he doesn’t have to give himself to anyone, including her. She leaves.

Tracy wants to know when she can open the hospital again. Jordan says she’ll let her know as soon as possible. Tracy asks what detective she should thank, but Jordan says it wasn’t anyone from the police department. When Tracy asks what civic-minded civilian gave them back the hospital, Jordan tells her to thank Franco.

Elizabeth says she knows how Franco was, and who he could still be. He tells her about overhearing her with Laura and she asks if he heard her say that she was falling for him. He tells her that he fell for her a long time ago. They kiss.

Julian walks up to Alexis. He says he was unsure how to approach her, and tells her that he was almost killed, like she doesn’t know. Alexis says Morgan was in the wrong place at the wrong time and is dead because of him.

Danny tells his parents that babies don’t do much. Sam says at first, but later he can build pillow forts with Scout. Jason says Danny can help them keep baby safe, and Sam says that’s what families do. Danny runs off to make a picture for Scout. Ava texts Jason, saying that Sonny is in trouble.

Sonny says Scotty hates him because he can’t hate anyone else, and has to put it somewhere. Scotty says that Sonny’s son was collateral damage, and he needs to look in the mirror. Sonny goes for Scotty’s throat.

Tomorrow, Maxie looks for Claudette, Nell tells Michael that Sonny might not make it, and Jason stops Sonny from strangling Scotty.

If Loving You is Wrong

I tune in a little late. Steven is questioning Brad. Steven shoves a picture of a baby at Brad, who claims he killed the baby. Then he says he doesn’t know where the baby and Alex are. He talks about Iraq and following orders. He says Randal is the reason he’s there, but he didn’t kidnap Randal or the baby. Steven thinks it’s weird that he hasn’t asked about Alex. He says she’s missing, and Brad asks if she’s been kidnapped too. Steven says she’s not kidnapped but she’s looking for her lover and baby. Brad reaches across the table and grabs Steven. Steven says that’s the Brad he’s looking for.

Brad says this has to stop. Steven says Brad’s wife running around with the guy next door must make him mad. Brad says he’s not saying anymore, but Steven says keep talking, confession is good for the soul. Brad tells Steven if he wants to put him in cuffs, go ahead. Steven brings up that Randal is Black and Brad wonders why that should matter. Steven says he knows plenty of guys who wouldn’t blame Brad for bashing Randal’s head in. Brad says he’s not saying another word until he gets a lawyer. Steven says if he’d talked, it would have gone a long way with the DA. Outside, Steven tells an officer to just go in and stand next to Brad and see if he’ll say something. The officer is Black and Steven hints around that Brad is a racist.

Esperanza tells Marcie and Kelly that Brad just asked for a lawyer. Kelly says if he was innocent he wouldn’t asks for one, but Esperanza says that’s exactly why he should have one. Otherwise he could get railroaded by the system. Marcie asks if she thinks he’s innocent, and Esperanza says she has other thoughts. Marcie says she keeps vacillating back and forth. She wonders how she could be so wrong about two men that she loves. Kelly asks if she loves Brad and she says yes. She didn’t realize it until tonight and asks them not to judge her. Marcie says Brad couldn’t have done this and asks how two people could create all this hell. Two people, one choice, and look where they are. Kelly says they all have blame in this. Marcie slept with Brad, and she and Esperanza wouldn’t get invovled. Marcie says their world has been thrown upside down and she wants it to stop. She wishes she could go back in time. Kelly tells them her mother used to say the wages of sin is death and she finally gets it. When things like this happen, the good things around us die.

Marcie gets upset about leading the police to Brad and insists he didn’t do it. Esperanza asks who did. Marcie says someone who hates the situation as much as they do. Esperanza says be careful or she’ll incriminate herself. She says the cops are like dogs digging up old bones when they want someone to blame. Marcie wants to do something and not just sit around. She wants to see Louise. Kelly says they will, but stay put right now. Esperanza wants to go to the station and see what else she can find out. She asks Kelly to walk her to the car.

Seriously, where is Randal? Did the actor leave the show or something?

On the porch, Esperanza tells Kelly she doesn’t think that Brad did it. Kelly says who then? Esperanza suggests Alex’s parents. For one, they’re racists. She says Miss Louise said it was the man next door; she didn’t specify Brad. She reminds Kelly about how they mixed up her and Alex when someone said “the woman next door.” She thinks Alex called her parents out of desperation. Kelly tells her to let the police know, but Esperanza wants to be sure. Kelly insists she should say something. Esperanza says if Alex called her parents, it could make her an accessory and she could get in a lot of trouble. She says people who are desperate do crazy things, but if Alex didn’t do it, the police will try to charge her anyway, so she can’t just go in with accusations. She says she’ll try to get more information, and she’ll talk to the captain if she can’t find out anything.

Eddie is still sitting in his car. He tells Esperanza that he’s keeping his eye on the only witness. Esperanza wants to know how to get to Alex’s parents and he tells her to take a left on Hillbilly Road. She tells him there’s a baby involved and he’s acting like an idiot. She points out that the people involved are his relatives. He asks how she would know that. She says she has a feeling. Eddie says most of the time the police go on facts. She asks if he’s going to help her or not. He asks how he’s suppsoed to know anything? He says he knew Uncle Rusty would work his way in there somewhere and this just gets better and better. Esperanza says if this baby dies, it’s all his fault and she hopes his conscience eats him alive. What conscience? He says it would be Alex and Randal’s fault for committing adultery. Esperanza says he cheated a lot when he was married, but he says he was cheating with her. She says she’s paying for it and she’ll get the real police to help her.

Esperanza tells Kelly that Eddie won’t tell her where Alex’s parents live. Kelly asks what’s wrong with him, and Esperanza says everything. Kelly tells Eddie he’s sick and Eddie makes remarks about the men in Kelly’s life. Esperanza gets in her car and Eddie leaves.

The truck driver drops Alex off, asking if she’s sure he doesn’t want her to call someone. She says she’ll be fine.

Pete tries to get up, but the nurse tells him to lie down. She says if he doesn’t, she’ll have to restrain him. He asks why there’s a guy sitting outside and she says he has protection because he was shot. He asks by who, and she says he’ll have to ask an officer. She leaves and Pete dreams about what happened before he got shot and how Ben was nowhere when he needed help. He jerks awake and reaches for the phone.

Lushion’s phone rings. It’s Pete. Lushion says it’s not a good time. Pete says he knows who shot him. It was a gang of guys and Ben just watched. Lushion asks what else he remembers and Pete says he has to get out of there. He says the guy outside of his room is working for the gang, but Lushion says he’s okay; he’s FBI. Pete asks how Lushion knows, and Lushion says somebody put him there for Pete. He asks Pete what he remembers about the tape from the convenience store. Pete says he saw Eddie shooting Ben’s hand off. Lushion asks what he did with the tape, and Pete says he gave it to Natalie and gave the copies to the captain who said he’d take care of it. After that, he was moved to the south side and got shot. He says he’s scared, but Lushion says, don’t be. He has to take care of something and then he’ll come check on him. Lushion goes back to Natalie.

The nurse tells Pete that he needs to rest. She gives Pete something to help him sleep, and he keeps saying he can’t sleep and she doesn’t understand. She tells him goodnight. He says he’s not going to sleep, but she says she bets he will.

Natalie tells Lushion that the pill is wearing off and she needs to know what’s happening with Joey. She’s losing patience. A doctor approaches them, introducing himself as Dr. Norton. He says Joey isn’t in the best condition. He has less than a 12% chance of making it. Natalie says there is hope, but the doctor says his heart and liver are damaged. Lushion asks if they’ve done everything they can, and he says yes; the only thing they can do is wait. He says if Joey recovers, it could take months. If he makes it through the night, his chances will improve, but the doctor doesn’t think it’s going to happen.

The doctor wants to ask Lushion something but Lushion blows him off. Natalie wants to know what the question is and Lushion says he’s going to ask about organ donation. The doctor says they have 12 people waiting for organs and Joey could save a lot of people. Natalie asks if they’re Black, but the doctor says he’s not sure. She wants to know if he’s just saving organs for some rich kid at the expense of hers. Lushion tells her not to take it out on the doctor. He says they shouldn’t think they’re going to lose Joey, but they have to consider organ donation. Natalie says she doesn’t want her son to die. She wants to ask the doctor if they can see him. I’m sure he’ll want to do her a favor after she just insulted him and practically called him a racist and a liar.

Pete asks the nurse what she gave him. She says a sedative. He keeps saying he can’t sleep, as he falls asleep. The door opens. Oh crap, it’s Eddie. I thought Lushion said that was an FBI guy outside. Eddie tells Pete to rest. Pete mumbles something and Eddie says it’s okay.

It’s Randal in a box! He hears the baby crying and hollers like a banshee. The box is moved and dropped. He pounds at it, and someone opens it and punches him. Hmm…I wonder if this is like when Suzanne Sommers had a beef with Three’s Company and her only scenes were brief and alone.

Next time, Alex’s car is found, Lushion questions the FBI guy, and Marcie passes out.

Below Deck

Captain Lee radios Kelley. He says the fiasco with the pool was an embarrassment. He says it’s not rocket science. He doesn’t want Kelley doing what he thinks is right, but what he’s told to. He says they don’t always have the luxury of extra time.

Ben makes the usual fabulous breakfast. Emily is seeing Ben in a different light and noticing the sweet side. Kate says she’s never seen Ben so nervous around a girl as Emily. The crew sets up the dreaded slide. Nico feels like Captain Lee is boring holes in them while watching.

Kate prepares for the guests’ party. She tells Ben she’s doing a Vegas theme and asks if he’d be Elvis. He’s not too receptive. Kelley asks primary guest Steve if he still wants to do some golfing. He does, so the captain tells Kelley how to set up the mat on deck. He’s getting irritated that he has to instruct Kelley about everything. Lauren says she understands why the captain is on Kelley’s ass, but since she’s been in that postion, she feels sorry for him. Steve golfs with one of the other guests.

Kate asks Nico to be Elvis. She radios Kelley, asking him to be the Chippendale. The guests are impressed with the table setting. Emily hasn’t told Kelley that she’s going out with Ben since she doesn’t want to wreck their friendship. I’m thinking it might wreck their friendship unless she does tell him.

Dinner is equally as fabulous as breakfast. Afterward, Kate directs the guests to the dance party. Elvis gets them in the mood. The guests do some dancing and everyone looks like they’re having a great time. In his interview, Ben says Emily has him rattled and he can’t wait for their date. Emily tells Kate pretty much the same thing.

Wow. Another breakfast is happening. All we do on this trip is eat. Steve says he’s glad his new fiance has tiny fingers since the ring looks bigger. Kyle talks to Kate and Ben in the galley about how he was a starving artist at one time. Well, a juggler who followed a girl to London, but then she left him for a rich doctor. In her interview, Kate says she loves when people have no apologies for who they are. I agree. Not everybody is going to like you regardless, so you might as well live honestly.

Kate tells Sierra she should give Kyle a chance. She says the lengths he went to for love are mind blowing. Sierra suggests Kate go out with him, but she says she loves Ro. Wasn’t Sierra here last week?

The guests were thrilled with the trip and Steve lays a fat envelope on Captain Lee. Kelley is psyched to go out, thinking he’s going to spend time with Emily. The crew gathers in the mess for tip time. Kelley keeps leaning on Emily, and in her interview, Emily says that clearly Kelley hasn’t gotten the memo that she’s going out with Ben because he’s lounging on her. The captain tells them that interior nailed it, but there were a few hiccups with the crew, and uses the word “proactive” again. The take is $15,000, $1350 each. Sierra says not too shabby for approximately fifteen hours of work. The captain expects Kyle and Sierra to make up the fishing trip time, but the crew is off for the evening.

Oh, I see. This isn’t a fishing trip like I was thinking. It’s a chartered boat where Kyle and Sierra are having cocktails. He talks about dinner later. Nico asks Emily if she has plans for tonight and she says she’s going to dinner with Ben. In her interview, Lauren says Kelley is going to flip and she’s staying out of it.

Kyle and Sierra sit in the fishing chair together. In her interview, Sierra says that Kyle is aggressive with his flirting, but she still wants to get to know him.

In his interview, Nico points out that Ben rooms with Kelley and it’s a bad situation. Ben asks Kyle how the date went, and he says Sierra kept texting a male friend. I know she didn’t want him to think it was a date, but that’s pretty rude. Kate is the one who ends up telling Kelley that Emily is going out with Ben. When they meet for dinner, Ben tells Emily that her dress is snazzy. Kelley gossips about Ben to Kyle, saying he has a different girl every season. Kyle tells him about Sierra’s texting and Kelley thinks he’s foolish to take her to dinner and manages to talk him out of it. What I think is that Kelley is worried he’s going to end up with Nico and Lauren all night. No girl for you!

The town is beautiful. Ben and Emily go to a fancy restaurant. Ben says he doesn’t like dill and I’m shocked. I love dill. Sierra talks about her family and how independent she was at a young age. Ben says his family was glad to get him out of the country. Ha-ha! In her interview, Emily says she enjoys Ben’s company; it’s easy and natural

Kelley insists to Lauren and Kyle that Sierra has a boyfriend. Lauren relays the information to Sierra about Kyle and Kelley’s gripes. Sierra asks Kelley if he’s upset with her. He says she didn’t tell Kyle the truth about wanting to just be friends, and he’s upset because she played Kyle. She says he absolutely knew how she felt. Kelley starts walking away and Sierra says she isn’t done. She decides not to go to dinner with them because Kelley wants to cause drama. Kate asks what the problem is and tells Kelley its none of his business. Sierra says she’s only been nice to him. Kate tells Sierra he’s taking his jealousy out on her because Emily went out with Ben. In her interview, Kate says Kelley hasn’t mastered the art of handling rejection.

Emily tells Ben it was a breath of fresh air to have him ask her out and she’s glad he did. Ben says he’s glad he’s sitting there and not Kelley. Emily says her too. They toast to Kelley…not being there.

Kate tells Sierra that Kelley is acting like a junior high school girl. The go to the bar where the rest of the crew is, and Ben and Emily show up. Kelley wanders off with Lauren. Sierra talks about how overbearing Kelley is. Kyle tells Sierra that he thinks she’s amazing, but she hurt him, so let’s call it a day now and get on with our lives. In his interview, Nico says it’s super awkward and he’s stuck in the middle of a bunch of emotions. He gets a pizza to go. Sierra tells Kyle she’s sorry and they hug it out. In his interview, Kyle says if Sierra ever comes knocking, the door is closed.

Nico, Kelley and Lauren go back to the boat with the pizza. Ben comes back to the table to find only Emily.

Captain Lee tells Kate that he has an issue with the pizza trail on the way to his quarters. He says he expects Kate will deal with it accordingly. She says things are out of control.

Nico finds the sandwich make on and smoking in the galley. He runs upstairs and out on deck with it wrapped in a towel. Captain Lee wonders what’s going on and Nico says someone left the toaster on and it’s smoking.. Kate says she just got the captain calmed down. She asks Nico what’s going on and he says he found it that way and has no idea who left it on.

Lauren is squinty drunk and tries to talk to Nico. Kelley thinks he’s being thrown under the bus, since he got accused of leaving the sandwich maker on by default.

Ben and Emily talk to each other in French. In her interview, Emily thinks there are real feelings. Ben says they have chemistry and hopes they can continue this.

Lauren sings on deck. Kate talks to Kelley and says the sandwich maker was a sadety issue and they’ll talk in the morning when everyone is clear headed.

Still to come this season, Kyle does drag and might be transgender, Ben calls Emily “the jewel of he Caribbean,” Nico butts heads with Kate, a hated guest returns, Kate has long distance relationship issues, Kelley and Sierra have it out, Kelley and Nico have it out, and Kelley and Captain Lee have it out.
