What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

At the MetroCourt, Nina tells Valentin that she’s not sure she’s the one to sell Port Charles to the rest of the world. She has a skeleton in every closet at Windemere, and Windemere has a lot of closets. She tells Valentin to finish his drink while she goes to see Peter.

Peter writes about time taking revenge. He writes that his father was all but helpless, and that he had no pity, but had triumph and savage joy. Maxie startles him. She says she was knocking, and he didn’t even look up. She asks what he’s working on that’s so riveting, and don’t tell her it’s budget projections. He says he gets into his work. He’s glad she stopped by. He has something for her.

Franco paces the station. He wonders why they won’t let him see his mom.

In the interrogation room, Betsy asks why she’s there; she wants to talk to “Bobby.” Dante says he’s waiting for her, but he was hoping that she could help them locate Jim. He asks if Jim mentioned any plans or trips. She starts to freak out, asking, what if he comes back? She needs to see her son.

Franco thinks once Betsy sees him, she’ll start talking. Jim isn’t around to pressure her or make her afraid. Franco tells Elizabeth he wants to know what happened when they were kids.

Sam remembers telling Drew about loving both him and Jason, and Drew asking why they got married. She thinks about Jason telling her trust herself to do what’s right, to take care of herself and the kids, and call if she needs him. There’s a knock at the door. It’s Curtis. He tells her that he was just with Drew. Sam asks if he’s okay, and Curtis says, no, not at all.

Drew tells Jason that he can’t get away from him. Jason says he’s there because of a shipment for Sonny, but he’ll have it moved. Drew tells him to go ahead and run; it’s what he’s good at. His game is to run and make Sam chase him. He guesses it worked. It looks like he’s got her back.

Peter gives Maxie the envelope from the baby’s college fund that she left in his office. She asks him for help with financial information. He tells her Nina has a fleet of advisors, but Maxie says it’s complicated dealing with Nina. When she sees Nina, she sees Nathan, and thinks Nina feels the same way. Peter says he comes with complications too; everyone does. He also thinks Nina might believe he’s overstepping, but Maxie says finance is his area of expertise; plus, he’s someone who’s detached from the situation.

Franco tells Elizabeth that Jim tried to kill him, then held him and Drew captive. Why shouldn’t he help bring him in? Outside the interrogation room, Jordan tells Dante the more they push, the more Betsy shuts down. Dante says Franco might have a better shot. She’s not under arrest; why not let her see her son? Jordan says she wants to try one more thing first.

Franco tells Elizabeth that he wants to get closure, so he can get back to the most important thing in his life – her. Right now, he has a hard time trusting anyone with the truth. He doesn’t want to face the secrets, and the secrets become lies until he can’t differentiate between memories and what’s been put in his head. He can face the truth. At least he’ll know there are no more secrets. It’s time for him to face something that’s been haunting him his whole life. He’ll be free. Elizabeth wonders, what if leads to more questions?

Sam guesses Drew told Curtis what happened. Curtis says Drew told him that they’re over, and she’s in love with his brother. He knows how freaky and complicated love triangles can be. He doesn’t mean to make her feel guilty. Sam says she does, but not for loving both of them; for the choices she made when Jason came back, and everyone thought he was an imposter. Curtis says he did, and so did she. Sam says, no. When he came to her hospital room, she knew, but she was so in love with Drew, she didn’t want to lose everything they’d built together. She couldn’t face it, and lied to protect their life. It was lie on top of lie, until she couldn’t live like that. She was no example for her children, and had to be honest with herself, even if it meant she could lose both of them. Yeah, like she’d lose Jason, who I’m slowing starting to dislike.

Drew asks if it doesn’t bother Jason to come to the place where Sam almost died. Sam carried the guilt, but he left her alone; Sonny came first, like he always did, and always will. Who knows that better than he does?

Nina tells Valentin that she wants to update Peter on the media push for Port Charles. It’s bound to affect Aurora. She thinks her warning him away from Maxie registered loud and clear. Valentin says he’s probably savvy enough to understand professional boundaries. Nina says she’ll be right back, and jets.

Maxie tells Peter that Nathan was a great cop, but no finance wiz. She’d like him to take a look; he knows he’ll keep the best interest of the baby in mind. Peter says he has people he can refer her to, but she says they won’t know how important it is. It’s more than money; it’s honoring Nathan. She wouldn’t put him on the spot if she didn’t need his help. He tells her that he’ll see what he can do. She says it’s one less thing on her mind while Georgie is visiting. She’s less than thrilled to be going back to the apartment, but doesn’t think Georgie should stay at the hotel. He’s glad she found a reason to go home. She thanks him, and when she leaves, he makes a call.

Elizabeth says Franco is looking for a miracle answer to explain everything. What if he doesn’t find it? Is he back to keeping secrets? He doesn’t want to keep anything from her. He just wanted to know the truth, and was protecting her. She says he wasn’t protecting her; he was pushing her away. Doc comes into the station looking for Dante and Jordan. Franco tells him to take a number. He says he’s there to consult on a case. Franco tells Doc that he’s not doing so good, but Doc doesn’t have time for that right now. Jordan tells Doc that they’re ready for him. Franco starts to follow, but Doc tells him to wait outside. Franco says it’s his mom, and Doc says he’s been asked to assess her. Doc goes into the interrogation room. Franco knows it’s in his best interest, but his life, both the past and future, depends on what happens in there.

Curtis tells Sam that Drew is going to stay at his crib, so he’ll need some stuff. Sam says Drew is lucky to have a friend like him. There are so many things she and Drew still need to talk about. Curtis says they’ll figure it out. She goes upstairs.

Drew knows all the times Jason chose Sonny over Sam. It haunts her. He tells Jason when Sam was sick, she tried to kill Sonny. She shot him, and left him to die, thinking it would break his hold over Drew, when they thought he was Jason. It worked. He walked away, choosing Sam and his family over Sonny. They were happy, then he came back, dragging her to back into everything she fears. Jason says he’s not dragging her anywhere.

On the phone, Peter says he wants to make a large deposit. He wants the funds redirected, and unable to be traced back to him. He hears something, and says he’ll call back. He asks if someone is there. Nina says she’ll come back in the morning; sorry for interrupting. She says it sounded important, but he says not unless bean counting is important to her. She apologizes for going off on him about Maxie. She’d just come from a doctor’s appointment, and was out of sorts. He hopes everything is fine, and she says it is. She wanted to talk to him about the Aurora advertising donations for the earthquake recovery. She tells him the mayor assembled a group to talk about rebuilding the city, and not just physically. He wants the media to promote a vibrant city where people want to live, and Aurora should be part of it.

Dante Introduces Doc to Betsy. She wonders why she has to see a doctor when she was just released from the hospital, but Jordan says he’s a different kind. She wants to know when she can see her son. Doc asks for privacy, and she asks what kind of doctor he is. He tells her, the kind who listens. He says that while she was away, he listened to Franco a lot. She wonders if he’s all right after all the years of lies and pain. She loves him very much and never intended to hurt him. She says it’s her fault. She was so wrong, and now she wants to make amends. She has to tell him somehow. Doc says she can help Franco heal, but first she has to heal herself. She says she doesn’t desire forgiveness, and Doc asks what she did.

Sam brings down a couple of bags for Drew, and gives it to Curtis. She says, aside from Scout, she doesn’t think there’s anything else he’d want to take with him. Curtis says it’s too soon to make life decisions. It’s only been all of two hours. Drew’s pride is hurt. No guy likes to lose his lady, and it’s worse losing to a brother, especially one he can’t stand.

Jason tells Drew that if they’re done, it’s the best thing to happen to Sam. He treats her like she’s something he owns, and makes her feel small and scared. Drew doesn’t know what Jason is telling himself, but he remembers every single way Jason hurt Sam. Jason says he can deal with never seeing her again, as long as she’s done with Drew. Drew takes a swing at him, and they fight.

Nina tells Peter the Crimson lifestyle doesn’t exactly scream disaster relief, but it’s about rebranding the town. From a P.R. perspective, it’s irresistible. She adds that their budget should be tripled, getting Peter’s attention. He apologizes, saying his mind is on other things. He asks her to meet with him tomorrow, where he promises his undivided, caffeinated attention. She says she knows Maxie sees him as a friend, and Valentin said he has her best interest at heart. She still thinks it’s a good idea for him to step back, and let her lean on family.

Doc comes out, and tells Franco that he knows it’s not his strong suit, but be patient. Betsy is in shock, and he wants to put her in the hospital for observation and treatment. It would be a good idea of Franco wasn’t there when she’s transported. Franco tells Elizabeth that if he has to be at the hospital all night, he will. She says she’ll drive, and takes his hand.

Curtis asks if Sam has tried to contact Drew. She says not yet, and he tells her that’s probably a good call. He knows she didn’t ask, but his advice is to chill. When Drew is ready, he’ll reach out. She asks if he has any other words of wisdom. He says the anger phase is painful and a bitch, but it becomes manageable. He tells her to look past the loss to the good times. They might look different, but they’re still of value. The person she loves is still there – more flawed than she thought, but still real. Maybe they’ll get to the point of wishing each other well. She says it sounds like he’s been through it. He says both of their situations are unique. He had a broken heart, but eventually saw himself through it, just like she will. Her phone rings. It’s desk sergeant Murray, who tells her that Drew is in custody at the courthouse. She asks what he’s been arrested for, and he tells her assault and battery, and disturbing the peace.

Valentin asks Nina if it went well, and she thinks she piqued Peter’s interest; they’re talking tomorrow. She tells Valentin that before he knew she was there, he was making a money transfer. Valentin doesn’t think there’s anything unusual about that, but she says he hung up quickly when she walked in. He tried to cover, but it seemed forced. Valentin is sure it’s nothing, but she thinks he’s hiding something important.

Maxie returns to Peter’s office. He says it must be his night for interruptions; Nina was just there. Maxie hopes she wasn’t telling him to keep his distance. He asks why she’s back, and she says she needs to know if she’s doing the right thing moving back home. He says she’s the only one who can make that decision. She thought she had, but just canceled two Ubers, then created a chain of rationalization about Georgie living in the hotel like Eloise. He says it’s a valid point, if she’s having a great time. She says she’s hiding. She doesn’t want to go home. It was her home with Nathan, and never will be again. Peter says there’s all kinds of courage, and he thinks she’s capable of doing anything for the sake of her daughter. If the best thing is for her to visit at home, then go home. She thinks he’s right, but needs some help.

At the hospital, Franco appreciates Elizabeth waiting with him. He asks about the boys, and she says Aiden misses his video game buddy. Jake had a landscape assignment, and could have used his help. She describes the painting Jake created, and how he can’t wait to show him. The boys miss him. Franco asks, what about her? Doc comes out, and tells them Betsy is sedated, but fighting it. It’s time to go in.

Franco goes in to see Betsy. He tells her that some people will do anything to get a room. He says it’s been a long time.

At the station, Sam tells Murray that she paid the fine, and was told Drew could be released. Murray says he’ll check to see if Drew is in the system. She asks what happened, and he tells her that they broke up a fight on the pier, and both men were taken into custody. She tells him that she can pay the other guy’s fine, but he suggests getting Drew released first. Curtis walks in, and tells Sam that her sister is at her house watching the kids. He asks what the status is, but she doesn’t know. He wonders if it’s a good idea to see him, but she says, too late. Drew walks out.

Murray tells Drew that his wife paid the fine, but the incident is still open. If there’s a second occurrence, it will be considered a criminal charge. Jordan asks Curtis, what happened? He says he’s there picking up a friend, and tells her that Drew is staying with him. Drew says it’s not necessary, but Curtis tells him that he’s sorry he left him on the pier; they saw how that turned out. Jordan says he’s free, and don’t let it happen again. Drew blows past Sam, who is all weepy. Cry me a river.

Maxie asks Peter why they’re at the MetroCourt restaurant, and he says her fridge is probably empty. She says she has ketchup, and he picks up an order. Nina sees them leaving, and asks if that just happened. Valentin says, yeah, they ordered takeaway. She says she was so sweet to him, it made her teeth hurt. She asked him to allow Maxie to lean on her family, and they’re stuck like glue. Valentin says, hypothetically, when someone tells her not to do something, what does she do? Maxie likes Peter, and if someone, however well-meaning, tells her to avoid someone, how would she react? Nina says she’d be mad, and probably spend more time with them. She gets it. She can’t confront Maxie on this, but she’s not backing off. There’s more going on with Peter than he’s admitting.

Elizabeth asks Doc if it’s true that the truth can set you free. He says it depends on the truth. In Franco’s case, it depends on what Betsy tells him.

Betsy is upset, and Franco says she can tell him anything. She says she’s sorry, and starts to cry.

Sam wants to get the name of the other man, but Murray tells her his lawyer was already there, threatening to sue the department for bias, among other things. She says, Diane Miller, and Murray says, that’s the one. Jason walks out, and asks how she’s doing. She says, okay, and they stare at each other, unrequited love hearts popping out of their eyes.

Tomorrow, Maxie knows what Peter is trying to do, Kim asks what going on with Elizabeth, and Sam needs some distance.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Kyle packs boxes. Storm steals the packing tape. Kyle is excited that they finally closed, but the old house is her comfort zone. It’s hard to leave the happy memories. Mauricio told her to hire people to pack, but that’s a no. She wants to control the situation. I don’t blame her. She’s also purging, and says Portia is the worst; every single thing is her favorite thing. She does sound like a small hoarder.

LVP is worried about Lollipop, who looks sad. They lost Pikachu a few days after Pink Dog, so she’s a little paranoid. In her interview, LVP says they both had good lives, but she doesn’t want to talk about it; her eyelashes will fall off. That’s rough. I lost two dogs within two months, and it was devastating. They’re premiering The Road to Yulan and Beyond, but she’s not looking forward to it. It’s been emotionally draining, and the result of years of hard work. Ken thinks the dogs would be proud. Giggy!

Erika sets up some fancy cookies for a visit from Dorit and LisaR. LisaR asks what the surprise is, but Erika says Dorit is late (which is no surprise), and she’ll see when Dorit gets there. Erika asks what LisaR thought about the psychic, and LisaR says she’s impressed with Erika’s psychic abilities. Erika thinks they all have them. LisaR talks about how she had the perfect storm happen, meeting some people who wanted to hook up with her clothing business just when her store was about to close. Dorit arrives, and Erika brings out the cardboard stand-up of her avatar. Dorit wants to have an avatar. Erika says being fearless is what it’s all about. It was either pivot or quit, and she’s in a place of yes. LisaR relates. Erika says, once the energy starts rolling, every door opens. Dorit says she’s been pouring her heart and soul into design, and her mind is going everywhere. That’s probably nothing new. She’s launching her first collection in five years. LisaR says there aren’t many jobs for women over forty, and brings up how men even look for younger women in relationships. Erika says that’s her story, and LisaR is like, oops.

Teddi is feeling hesitant about the Berlin trip. She doesn’t want to leave Edwin and the kids. He says he can handle it. She wants to go over the calendar with him. Being a helicopter mom, when she goes away, she leaves an extensive list, but he cares so much, he might as well wipe with it. He suggests being a full-time dad, but then retracts that before he gets in trouble. Teddi is apprehensive about the trip because of Erika’s repeated snapping at her. She tells Edwin that Erica apologized, and she thinks they’ll have fun. He asks about Dorit, but she doesn’t know. We flash back to the altercation about LisaR, and she says she doesn’t know if Dorit accepted her apology or not. She thinks a one-on-one might be in order. She hopes the past issues don’t rear their ugly heads.

LVP gets ready for the premier. She says it’s important for her to pull herself together to give the message. Dorit calls, and LVP tells her Pikachu died in her arms. She doesn’t want to talk about it now though, but Dorit ignores that, and prattles on. Giggy! LVP tries to get it together to fight the fight.

Ryan, Dorit’s business partner, wants to go over color combinations. She’s going to celebrate the launch of Beverly Beach with a fashion show. Ryan says everything is sample size extra small, because the girls are tiny. Dorit thinks a swimsuit should show a cheeky derriere, and says her swimsuits all give a lift. She tells Ryan about going to Berlin, and promises to work 24/7 this week. In her interview, she says she feels the creativity burning inside of her.

Giggy! The ladies get reserved seats for the premier. Dorit is late, but manages to get there before it starts. The Awareness Film Festival director tells them to prepare for tears. I won’t be watching any of this; just keeping my eyes on this page. It’s enough I have to hear it. Kyle says it’s impossible not to think of her own dogs, and even though I’m not looking, I start to tear up. The majority are stolen pets. Ken says they’ve seen videos of them being stolen, and I hate China. LisaR says she can’t talk about it. I can’t even listen to this. Teddi says you can’t imagine this is happening in our world. I can. Our world sucks. LVP says every dog saved is a victory, even if it’s one at a time.

They go to the after-party. Teddi says LVP has done great things for dogs, and LVP hopes it makes a difference. She’s glad her friends came – even LisaR. In her interview, Teddi says regardless of their ups and downs, she and Dorit have fun together. Dorit is ready to move on and have a great time. Erika’s meeting was moved to LA, but she wants to go to Berlin anyway, and these bitches are coming along for the ride. She tells Teddi about a horseback riding trail in Berlin, and says she wants an old nag to ride. In her interview, LVP says clearly, she has a type. BA-DUM-CHH!

Erika goes over her wardrobe with Mikey. She says there’s an edge to Berlin that requires costumes. She explains you need lube and baby powder to get into latex. It takes a lot of trunks full of glamour for Berlin.

Dorit is feeling like she’s coming down with the flu. Apparently, that wasn’t creativity she was burning with. She’s been working through the night to get the collection done. She has no time to sleep or be sick.

Giggy! LVP has never been to Berlin, but heard stories about WWII from her grandmother, Nanny Kay, who was a nurse during the war. She feels that it’s going to be more significant for her than the others.

The most anyone knows in German is Dorit, who can ask for another beer. They all do imitations of speaking in German, but it sounds Swedish. Dorit bugs the crap out of LVP on the flight. They’re only going to be gone for four days, and everyone has brought at least four bags. And I don’t mean small ones.

On the way to the hotel, they marvel at the architecture. Dorit was violently ill on the plane, and Kyle suggests calling a doctor when they get there. LisaR has brought her infamous bag o’ pills, and says Dorit must be happy she has it this time around, since she gave her something for nausea.

They’re greeted by the Waldorf Astoria manager. It’s the presidential suite for Erika, who says it’s been nice knowing the others. The other suites are nothing to sneeze at though. One of Erika’s views includes the zoo. Baby elephant! Erika is shown the panic room, and thinks she should lock these ho’s up.

Dorit says she might be sick, but still wants to look her best. The doctor comes to her suite, and she tells him about getting sick on the plane, and the different medications she’s taken. He tells her she shouldn’t have taken two of them together, and doesn’t think she’ll get nauseated again if she doesn’t. Doesn’t she know how to google?

Teddi video chats with Edwin, who’s driving. She tells him to pull over, and shows him the view from her room. In her interview, she says there are highs and lows in traveling without the kids. Of course he’s not following the list, but luckily he loves them and she has her back-up spy babysitter. LVP calls Dorit, and says she looks like sh*t. Dorit tells her about how she shouldn’t have mixed the medications – plus a bloody Mary. She’s going to skip tonight, and has FOMO. LVP thinks that sounds like a sexual maneuver. Dorit doesn’t want to miss out, but a healthy Dorit is more fun than a sick one.

The ladies go to a bar. Still in her suite, Erika tells Mikey they’re going shopping in the morning, and then horseback riding. Afterwards, she wants to have a dinner in the suite. She calls the desk, and asks if it’s possible. They tell her they’ll create a special menu, and she says it was the easiest reservation ever.

LisaR hopes they’re not going on a boat. LisaR mentions Brandi slapping LVP in Amsterdam, and Teddi is shocked. LisaR says she’s never even wanted to slap her, but LVP can’t say the same. LVP says LisaR seems less engaged with the group lately. LisaR says she’s changed, and in her interview, says she’s less engaged in the bullsh*t. Kyle suggests a hybrid of the old and new LisaR. LisaR says she has daughters who look up to her, and wants to show them that you don’t have to get involved in a situation you can’t fix.

Erika arrives, and tells them that she was planning the day for tomorrow. A question about who sleeps naked is asked. LVP says she did until the earthquake in ’94. Nanny Kay was staying with her then, and thought it was a blitz. Kyle asks who that is, and LVP says her grandmother who lived with her for twenty-five years. She’s perturbed that Kyle didn’t remember who Nanny Kay is, and we flash back to the million times LVP has mentioned her. LVP appreciates that Erika remembered, and in her interview, Erika says she actually does listen when someone talks. Real friendship. Try it.

Next time, dancing, beer, shopping, horseback riding, and Dorit confronts Kyle.

🍱 I keep seeing that commercial for Nutrisystem with Genie Francis talking about losing weight “the healthy way.” I don’t think you need Nutrisystem to do that, and you can probably do it yourself at half the cost. As much as I love Genie, I find it annoying when celebrities promote weight loss systems that are only common sense. Yes, I’m talking to you too, freestyling Oprah. Here’s the secret. Don’t eat processed food. Watch your portions. Move around more. You might want to tweak that to your personal taste, but those are the basics. Not that I always follow those rules, but when I do, it never fails. Fad or restrictive diets don’t work, because as soon as you’re off of them and start eating like a human again, you blow up like a balloon. And while it would be nice if someone just delivered my healthy meals with their portion-controlled sizes every day for the rest of my life, that isn’t realistic for most of us. That’s the other secret. It has to be a lifelong lifestyle, not something you do for several months, and go back to your wicked food ways. Not to say you can’t have special food occasions – using the word “cheat” gives you a subliminal guilt trip – but not even every weekend can be a holiday. Now that I’ve gotten that off my chest, carry on.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Sonny has idea to for Andre to make amends and put some put good out in the world. He knows someone who would be a prime candidate for memory mapping.

Drew sits at the pier. He looks at his empty ring finger, and remembers Sam saying she still loves Jason. He pops a beer.

Alexis visits Sam. She was hoping Sam could help her determine if she’s done something expedient or stupid.

Kim and Julian sip wine. She asks if it’s the next step in his plan to get over Alexis. He asks, Alexis who?

Alexis asks Sam what’s wrong. Sam says Drew left her.

Jason tells Carly he’s sorry he took so long, and uses more words than I’ve heard from him all year. Carly is looking at the picture of Morgan. She tells him the scarf she found on her desk is exactly the same as the one in the picture. It was sitting on her desk, all dirty with blood on it, but it was recognizable. Jason asks how long she examined it, and if there was a label. She says a few minutes, but she doesn’t think so. The fire alarm went off, and she had to evacuate. She left it on her desk, but should have taken it with her. He says she had no way to know whoever left it would come back later to take it.

Curtis finds Drew, along with several crushed empties, and tells him the commissioner has zero tolerance for litter. Drew asks how Curtis found him, but Curtis says it’s a trade secret. He tells Drew that he located Betsy, and she’s recouping at GH. Drew says, good job, and he hopes Betsy is better soon. Curtis doesn’t want to be in Drew’s face, but wonders what’s up. Drew says he’s had a rough 24-hours. Curtis has sympathy. He knows what it’s like to want his memories back. Drew says it wouldn’t make much difference if he did; it would be the same outcome.

Sam tells Alexis how grateful she is to have gotten the ring back, and explains how she found it in Jim’s hotel room. It’s how they knew he was lying. She got it back and put it on his finger, and he kissed her. She started crying, and knew she had to tell him, Alexis asks what she said exactly, and Sam says she told Drew that she still loved Jason, but she’s in love with him too. She thinks he believed the second part, but it doesn’t matter. He left.

Outside of Charlie’s, Ned asks Olivia-Q why that can’t do this at the house. Olivia says the house wasn’t damaged, and they need to meet in the area that was hit the hardest. He says Charlie’s didn’t sustain damage, so why patronize Julian’s place? She tells him it’s the mayor’s job to rise about petty differences, and focus on the greater good. He thinks he’s starting to catch on.

Andre tells Sonny that he can’t put his memory mapping program to use. His release was conditional, and he can only continue his research with the WSB. Sonny says they don’t have to know. Andre says he’s not keeping any more secrets. His research was lost when the flash drive went missing, and he’s starting from scratch. Sonny asks if he can’t perform it from memory, but Andre says some parts were too intricate to keep in his head. Sonny thinks Andre remembers more than he believes. He’ll have a chance to do good for someone who needs it. Andre asks who, and Sonny says, his father.

Julian asks Ned what’s going on, calling him Ted. He thought Ned lost interest in Charles Street, since there are no more votes to be had. Ned tells him they’re having a meeting on how to revive the area. He says there are no concrete plans yet, and Julian tells him good luck with that. He asks Kim if she wants to take a walk.

Andre tells Sonny that Alzheimer’s is a diabolical disease. Sonny says Mike is doing everything he can – medicine, exercise, therapy – but he’s crumbling before Sonny’s eyes. Andre says sorry, but he can’t help.

Brick takes a look at the security footage from the MetroCourt. He asks if there are any cameras closer to the office, but Carly says Diane advised against it. He says he’ll see what he can see.

Drew tells Curtis it’s over; he’s lost Sam. Curtis asks what that means, and Drew says it means it’s over. Curtis tells him people say that all the time, yet find a way to work it out. Drew doesn’t think so. Curtis knows they love each other; anyone with eyes can see it. Drew tells him to spare the pep talk, He knows when something isn’t salvageable. Curtis says he knows when to push through, and when to walk out. He thinks Drew can still win Sam over.

Alexis tells Sam it’s better than living with a lie. Sam says as much as it hurts, for the first time since Jason is back, it feels like peace is happening. I get distracted by the simple display of branches on the mantel behind her, and think about possibly doing something like that. Sam says her choices are coming from an honest place. Alexis says the unfolding of it will take a minute or two, and to deal with what she can. She asks if Drew is coming home, but Sam doesn’t know. Before he left, he said he’d always be committed to Scout, but it doesn’t matter. He’s not coming back. Alexis tells her whatever was said tonight, it’s not the end. There’s more to be said, and not just with Drew. What is Sam going to say when Jason shows up?

Sonny tells Andre if he needs convincing, he can pay him. Andre says despite his past transgressions and motives, he can’t be bought. There are limits, and if he’d thought it was effective, he would have revealed it, despite the personal consequences. It’s useless against Alzheimer’s. The reason he devised it was to save his wife, but by the time it was viable, it was too late; she was too far gone. Sonny says his father isn’t, but Andre says it doesn’t matter. It’s ineffective once the disease takes root. It’s corrosive and cruel, and burns away the memory, language and thought; everything that makes us who we are. His program can’t prevent the decline. Nothing can.

None of the people on the security footage are carrying a scarf, although Jason says it would be easy enough to conceal. Carly says she recognizes everyone on the tape. She says they could have come up through the stairwell, but there are no cameras there either. She says they could look at the footage from the lobby. Jason tells her that would mean she’d have to interrogate her guests. Carly doesn’t know what to do. She says sometimes it’s almost like Morgan is still there.

Curtis thinks Sam has a screwed-up sense of loyalty. No way can Jason make her happy. He drags misery behind him like a security blanket. Drew has it within him to enjoy life, while Jason has a personality of concrete, Curtis has never even seen him smile. Drew asks if he thinks Sam is going to change her mind. When Curtis doesn’t say anything, Drew says, yeah, didn’t think so.

Sam tells Alexis that she hasn’t heard from Jason. Alexis says he’s bound to come calling when he finds out. He’s literal and goal-oriented. She didn’t expect it when Sam was with Drew, but it’s reasonable to assume she wants him back, after he gives her some time to get over Drew. Sam says she’s doing the best she can, but she hurt people in the process. She lied to Drew and Jason. She can’t do that anymore. She needs to know how to trust and rely on herself again.

Julian tells Kim welcome to his office. He talks about discovering a hatch in the floor where they hid booze during Prohibition. Apparently, Port Charles was a hub for bootleggers. He says he also lives there. Kim asks, why? It’s beautiful for an office, but why? He says something temporary turned into a convenience. It has the benefit of him being on the premises; it guarantees less theft and vandalism. He sleeps on a pullout couch. Kim says it has to be uncomfortable, but he says they’ve improved. He tells her that he’s a capable man. She tells him she can’t take his word for it; she needs to see the receipts. Whoa. Suddenly, they’re twirling around in the sheets on his pullout couch.

Sam tells Alexis that she needs time alone to figure things out. Who knows? Maybe in the end, she’ll figure out that she isn’t supposed to be with either one of them.

Curtis tells Drew, let’s go. Drew asks, where? and he says, to the gym. Drew needs to punch something; he needs to do something. Drew takes a drink, and says he is. He knew it was coming. Maybe Sam didn’t, maybe she did, but he could feel it. The signs were there. Curtis asks if that doesn’t make him want to punch something. Drew says, not something – someone.

Carly doesn’t get it. Why now? She tells Jason that Mike keeps forgetting that Morgan is dead. He’s on her mind; he always is. She dreams about him, and when she’s awake, she feels his absence. She finds herself waiting for him to come home. He had a hundred ideas a day; some brilliant and outrageous, some disasters waiting to happen. As much as she wanted to pull her hair out, he was sweet and genuine and made her smile. She can hardly find the strength to walk into her other house. She won’t go into his room. Jason asks what she’s worried she’ll find, but she says it’s what she won’t find. She knows he’s gone, but she can’t help hoping he’ll come home. She cries, and Jason holds her.

Andre says he’s sorry, but he can’t help Sonny’s father. If there are any memories, stories, feelings, or anything Sonny wants from his father, Andre tells him to gather them now, and tuck them away. Sonny promises he will. Whatever functional days he has, are more precious than gold

Ned thanks everyone for coming. Valentin tells him to cut to the chase. How bad is it, and what will it take to improve things? Lulu says it depends on where you live. Olivia says the working class and low-income people have been hurt the most. She points out that Spoon Island is in the least damaged category. Nina says that’s true, but Port Charles is still their city. They want to help rebuild. Michael says housing is the biggest priority. Monica asks what’s more important than a place to live, and Ned says having a city worth living in.

Julian and Kim have pillow talk. She says she wondered if he was going to show her his etchings. Julian says his sister does own an art gallery. Kim says they’ve always been honest with each other, and they both know their hearts belong with – Julian finishes, with people who don’t want them. He says they’re adults who enjoy each other’s company, and she says, as long as they’re clear with each other, it’s all good. They get busy again.

Jason wishes he could help Carly figure it out. She says she knows, and she’s okay. He tells her if she needs him, he’s there, and she says that’s one of the reasons she’s okay. He has to go supervise a shipment for Sonny (say that three times really fast). He says he’ll tell Sonny, but Carly doesn’t want him to know. He’s going through enough with Mike; he doesn’t need a distraction. Jason says someone messing with her isn’t a distraction. She tells him to ask if there’s any tension with his rivals. If he says yes, tell him, since it could be related. If not, it’s probably not dangerous and he doesn’t need to know. She swears Jason to secrecy. He promises he won’t say a word.

Alexis hands it to Sam – she’s brave, and makes wise decisions. Sam says they’re painful, and Alexis tells her that she’s setting a great example for Scout, her sisters, and her mom, who’s not nearly as smart. She wants Sam to have a full, rich relationship, but she probably needs to have one with herself first. She needs emotional time out. Maybe with distance, she won’t feel the need for an adrenaline rush. Sam tells Alexis that she says this with love, but what she sees in Jason isn’t close to what Alexis saw in Julian. Alexis asks who said anything about him, and Sam says she didn’t have to.

Curtis suggests Drew get his ass to the gym and let off some steam. Drew says he’ll be fine. Curtis points out that he’s self-medicating. He fell down that hole when his brother died. He put everything he could up his nose, but it didn’t do any good. He screamed curses at everyone. He cursed Jordan, Shawn, and Tommy, even himself, until the poison was out of his system. So let it out. Drew tells him to back off. Curtis says she broke his heart. He depended on what she told him, and gave her everything. Now she’s gone, and his brother is waiting for her to come to him. He knows it hurts and it pisses him off. He needs to focus to see through the pain and anger. Drew says Curtis can’t help. He needs to do it alone. Curtis understands. He tells Drew not to do anything stupid, like look for Jason. Drew tells him not to worry; just go.

Julian tells Kim he’d ask her to spend the night, but he’s not sure the pullout can sustain it. She’s not sure her son is ready for an overnight anyway Julian says it wouldn’t do much for her reputation to be too loosely associated with him. Kim says no one tells her how to live her life. He tells her maybe don’t shout it from the rooftops. She tells him to get a few more pillows and she’ll think about spending more time there.

Sonny asks Carly if she’s ready to go home. She asks how Mike is, and he says it’s been a long day. He notices the picture of Morgan, and says it’s one of his favorites. She says, her too. She remembers his face clearly. Sonny says it’s hazy for him. She says, let’s go home, and she can tell him the whole story.

Olivia says that Port Charles has strong established businesses, but they need to be revived. Nina says it’s like rebranding the city; marketing it as a place people want to live and work in. Mike says they need to look at the earthquake as an opportunity instead of a disaster story. Monica says people still need places to live; the hospital staff is scrambling to find affordable rentals. Ned says he’s coordinating state rent subsidies, but they have to move forward, being judicious to preserve the city’s character. Lulu asks if he wasn’t the one who wanted to tear it down for an arena. Ned says he’s seen the error of his ways. Valentin says they’ll need a P.R. campaign, with a spotlight on how they’re rebuilding and moving forward. Ned says they’ll feature what makes Port Charles great, including the hospital, while downplaying the organized crime. He asks Michael to request that Sonny keep a lower profile than usual. Olivia says she’ll send everyone a coordinating email, and they’ll get together again. Ned thanks everyone for coming. Kim and Julian walk through. He asks if he can see her again, and she says, sure.

Alexis asks Sam to forgive Julian. She says she’s tried. Alexis is concerned about Jason and Sam’s ties to him. If he hears that Drew is gone, she might get back with him while she’s having doubts, and it won’t work. Sam says Alexis hates Jason, but Alexis says she hates what he does. Her smartest, oldest daughter should trust her instincts. Sam says it’s all she has. She needs time to recover, and be by herself. When she’s done, maybe she’ll know who or what completes her. Bleh. Did she really just say that?

Drew stands on the pier, and Jason walks out. They stare at each other.

Tomorrow, Nina tells Valentin that Windemere has a skeleton in every closet, Peter has something for Maxie, and Doc talks to Betsy.

Vanderpump Rules

Stassi tells the girls that when you love someone, you do everything you can for them, and Jax has sh*t on his relationship with Brittany. She asks Lala if she’s down with the conversation. In her interview, she says they’re all toasty, but Kristen is next level toasty. She’s been drinking since 8 a.m. yesterday. They’re off to a good start.

The guys, plus Ariana, gather in Jax’s suite. Tom asks if Jax is going to Florida; he thinks it’s good for him. James says it sounds horrible for Brittany not to go, but Jax doesn’t think that will happen. In his interview, Jax says he’ll be near his family and be involved with hockey – it’s a win-win. He wonders what the next step is, and Tom suggests he chill. James squeaks that it’s boy’s night like he’s a girl. James is having a blast, but knows about Scheana trying to manipulate Jax and Brittany’s relationship. At the same time, why tells him when he’s having the time of his life. Let him have his night.

The girls, minus Ariana, go to the beach. Kristen has hiccups, and says she’s too drunk to handle people. They get half nakey, and go in the water. Brittany says she’s learned how important these girls are to her, and says they’ll be friends for life.

Back at SUR, Lisa asks how Billie is, and how her date with Jeremy went. Billie tells her about Scheana wanting to set up Adam and Brittany. In her interview, Lisa says the only ramification she’s concerned about is the havoc in her restaurant. As far as Jax goes, it’s fair game. Lisa tells Billie to let Scheana know she should keep out of a potential explosion. Billie says she’ll do her best.

In possibly the weirdest thing ever on this show, Lala heats up a baby bottle with milk and honey, and brings it to bed with her. In her interview, Scheana says she has a stuffed frog she brings everywhere, but has never seen a grown woman suck on a bottle in order to go to sleep. Lala says she puts on her favorite show, and whenever she has anxiety, her “baba” soothes her like a baby. I have no words. Well, I actually have a lot of them, but I’m letting it go.

Katie and Schwartz eat pizza in bed, where Schwartz makes a mess on the pillowcase. Katie says he’s next level wasted, but it’s cute. No, it’s not. It’s taking eww! to the next level too. She says if he blacks out and wants to make out with someone, it will most likely be her. There’s a knock at the door, and it’s Stassi, who feels badly, but can’t take Kristen being weird anymore. She came back to a wall of smoke and Kristen freaking out about being in another country. She’s being an a-hole. In her interview, Stassi says Kristen is hard to travel with. She went to Copenhagen with Kristen and Katie, and saw Satan. Kristen wouldn’t stop sobbing and screaming, so they left her, and went to Paris. I like it! She says she didn’t learn her lesson and just wants to sleep. Schwartz tells her not to make it weird. Stassi sees the sauce all over the pillowcase.

No one is in great shape to go to the waterpark. Stassi thinks she’s still drunk. Schwartz liked having her sleep with them. Not in a weird way, but it feels right, since she crashed their honeymoon. What’s one night in Mexico?

Tom tells Ariana that he didn’t think Jax would be the one to leave, and it’s not fair. Ariana says it’s grown up life, and he has to deal with it.

Jax ponders stuff while petting his rock. He wanted a peaceful birthday trip, and wonders why they’re fighting because of a job offer. He thought it would be cool to share. Brittany asks what’s going on, and he tells her that he’s just thinking. She’d better look out. His head might explode. She says everyone was drinking last night, and Tom says he took a beating. Jax doesn’t want to go through it again. He shows Brittany his negativity rock. We flash back to Kelsey telling him that it dissolves negative energy. He tells Brittany the rock is supposed to get rid of his negativity. She’s like, um… and tells him to have alone time with the view. He taps the rock on his forehead.

James says he didn’t fly to Mexico to not turn it up. They get to waterpark and start drinking. It looks beautiful, but crowded. Lala wants to sit in the water and sip a sh*t ton of tequila. Everyone gets their picture taken with some parrots, but Lala is afraid of birds. Ariana asks Stassi how the night went. Stassi tells her that she and Kristen fought like a tornado, and Kristen thinks she’s selfish because she wants to sleep. In her interview, Ariana makes fun of her, which is incredibly rude, since she’s the one who asked. She says if you’re going to room together, you have to compromise.

Jax is concerned about getting in the water, since he doesn’t want another Big Bear situation. Scheana explains that the altitude won’t affect him there. He doesn’t want to die in Mexico on his birthday. Scheana asks Kristen what happened, and Kristen says Stassi left. In her interview, Kristen says Stassi is being a stubborn bitch; blaming her, and playing the victim.

Kristen asks Stassi where she went. Stassi says it’s her trip too. Kristen brings up Stassi’s temper tantrums when she’s drunk, and Stassi says she’s terrible to travel with. If she was planning a trip, she wouldn’t invite Kristen. She freaks out when she’s out of her bubble. Kristen insists it’s both their faults, and if she can’t accept it, that’s an effing problem. In her interview, Stassi thinks Kristen needs to look at herself and make some changes. They’re old. Who does this? Kristen complains about Stassi some more, and wants to go home.

Lots of fun in the water – swimming, tubing, jumping off cliffs, snorkeling. Brittany tells Jax about a lemur family she saw, and how cute they were, but he seems underwhelmed. She asks why he’s by himself, and he says he’s chilling and enjoying the water. She feels badly about the fighting and yelling last night. In her interview, she says it was a train wreck. Jax deserves the girls going after him, but he did a good job at keeping calm. She thinks maybe the reiki is helping. Jax tells Brittany that he hasn’t done much to be proud of, but he thought she’d be happy for him about the job. He thought she was on board with going to Florida. In his interview, he says the big question is if Brittany is coming. Brittany tells him that it’s a lot to think about, and she doesn’t want to make a decision overnight.

More water fun! Some of the group does zip-lining. Schwartz says he’s not going back. Ariana says Kristen disappeared, and Stassi calls her an a-hole, saying she wanted to go home. She’d give anything to have a room by herself. There’s no safe place with Kristen around. She terrorizes Stassi, and it’s like having a member of Isis in her hotel room.

James says he’s trying to get along with everyone. He doesn’t want to pick sides, but Jax needs intel. He tells Jax about Scheana trying to set Brittany up with Adam. Jax says he’s pissed off. He’s trying to pull in his inner Kelsey, but it’s effing hard. James says Scheana is trying to break them up. Jax doesn’t get why Scheana is involving herself in his relationship. He tells James, welcome to his life.

James tells us that he always travels with mini steamer. His secret is spraying cologne before steaming. He smells like a god. Yeah, the God of Looney Tunes.

Ariana tells Schwartz he has a dad bod, or at least dad bod features. Schwartz is insulted, but it’s true.

Scheana talks about how she wasn’t going to use Wi-Fi or her phone on the trip. It was nice not to have a phone. It forced her to be present, but it only worked for a minute. She FaceTimes with Rob, who says he would be proud of them if they all turned their phones off. He tells her to be present, enjoy, and have fun. Lala thinks Scheana should take time for herself, and have girl time.

Stassi tells Kristen that she doesn’t want to fight. Kristen agrees that it’s stressful. She says travel freaks her brain out, and she has an anxiety attack if she’s without Carter. I have the feeling a lot more than travel makes her brain freak out.

At Villa Rosa, Lisa is cooking, and looks like my sister. Giggy! She’s trying something to put on the menu at SUR, and Ken is her guinea pig. He asks about Mexico, and she says Tom changed his attitude. In her interview, she thinks Tom and Schwartz have a better understanding of the direction she wants them to go in. We flash back to Tom’s new cocktail creation. Lisa says Schwartz is a puppy dog, and hopes he doesn’t have another blackout. His naughtiness coupled with alcohol is a recipe for disaster.

Brittany and Jax have a drink. He tells her about what James said. Brittany says Scheana told her that Adam had asked about her because they’d broken up. He knows they’re back together, and hasn’t acted on anything. He grills her about what minute Adam said he had a crush on her – was it before or after they got back together. She says it’s coming from Scheana, so not to pay attention, but he asks why she didn’t tell him. She says nothing came of it. She sees him at work, but he doesn’t have her number. In her interview, she says if Jax hadn’t cheated, this wouldn’t be happening. He started it. She tells Jax that Scheana just did it to make her feel good, and know there are other guys out there. Jax asks if Scheana didn’t just get divorced. In his interview, he wonders why his relationship is so important to Scheana, and why she’s making his life hell. He thinks she should put the same effort into her own relationship. Brittany asks if Jax intends on speaking to Scheana about it.

The group goes to restaurant also called SUR, but it doesn’t serve goat cheese balls. James jokes that there’s a TomTom around the corner. James and Jax are acting buddy-buddy, and in her interview, Lala says James is acting like a girl willing to give it up on the first date. He wants approval from everyone, especially Jax. Scheana starts another Rob riff, and in her interview, Brittany says, buckle your seatbelts. They’re going on a Rob and Scheana ride. We flash back to each time Scheana repeats something about Rob that she’s said before. Ariana call its TMR – too much Rob. Kristen zones out, and Scheana reminds her that she’s talking. Tom calls Lisa, and tells her he’s calling from SUR. She asks who this is, and hey all laugh. In his interview, Schwartz says he’s jealous Tom has her phone number, but really he’s too shy to ask. He has no courage to take the relationship to the next level, so for now, he emails. Lisa tells them to have fun.

Jax and Tom go to bathroom, and jump on a glass floor panel in the hallway. Not the wisest thing, but it’s Jax and Tom. Jax tells Tom about what James told him, and that he talked to Brittany about it. In his interview, Tom thinks Scheana crossed the line. Brittany made a choice, and she needs to respect that. She’s a big girl and can take care of herself.

Lala says James is amazing, and should share more of his experiences. He talks about being bullied back in the UK, and how his leg was twisted until it broke. He was called gay, and kids made fun of his features, and then it got physical. In his interview, James says people try to bring you down, but it’s about getting up afterward. He says when they moved to the US, his life changed completely. He went from having no friends and picked on to being the British kid everyone wanted to be friends with. In her interview, Kristen says this had a major impact on the way he acts as an adult, and the childlike temper tantrums he throws. Scheana thanks Brittany for the trip, and tells Jax how lucky he is. Even if he goes to Tampa, they’ll still love him. In his interview, Jax says his bullsh*t radar is off the radar. Scheana toasts to Brittany.

The group goes shopping, and look at penis flutes. Ariana plays one, and I think, why are you putting your mouth on something that other people probably have – and you’re in another country no less? They move on to a club. In her interview, Stassi says Schwartz drinks like a freshman from Florida State. Tom talks to Scheana about trying to set up Brittany and Adam. She says she just invited him and Brittany out to have fun with the group. In his interview, Tom says this is shady-ass sh*t. Scheana knew what she was doing. Jax asks to be filled in. Scheana explains she invited Adam for drinks, and he’d mentioned he had a crush on Brittany. Jax doesn’t have a problem with that, but says Scheana arranged a meet up. She says she wanted to arrange a night for Brittany to let loose, and know there were possibilities of life without him. In his interview, Jax wonders how she’d react if he did that with Rob or if he threw it in her face that Rob doesn’t love her. Um… isn’t the latter kind of what he did? She insists it wasn’t a date, but Brittany knew he was coming. Idiot never-enough-pot-stirring Jax calls Brittany over. He has to get to the bottom of this. Okay, Shaggy. In her interview, Stassi says that Scheana isn’t her favorite person, but she’s all for Brittany moving on. Anything else is a step up. Jax calls Adam a dishwasher, and in her interview, Scheana is glad he’s upset. Brittany doesn’t want to argue. Jax gets up and leaves the group, totally pissed off.

Next time, Lisa says they can’t have another dog, the guys go golfing, Kristen throws a drink in James’s face, and Katie is concerned Schwartz doesn’t know where he is.

🚤 The gang at Summer House attended a Rosé All Day party, where they began drinking straight from the bottle on the way there. I haven’t drunk straight from a bottle since high school. True story. I was on the subway late one night, when a small group of people got on who were all dressed up. They asked if anyone had a bottle opener, and I just happened to have one on my keychain. They used it to open a bottle of Perrier, and also pulled out a bottle of Remy Martin along with some glasses. They asked if I’d like to join them in a drink, but unfortunately, I had other plans. Too bad there aren’t more subway riders like that. Next time, Summer House mercifully concludes its season. Stephen dons his queen costume again, as well as a sheet mask, but not at the same time.

⛅ On Bravo’s Spring Break Preview Special, Jerry O’Connell and Cameran Eubanks gave us glimpses of the shows to come: Southern Charm and sister show Southern Charm New Orleans, The Real Housewives of NYC and Potomac, Your Husband is Cheating on Us (where actors share a house while rehearsing for a Tyler Perry like stage production), and Imposters. The most interesting moment though, was when Jerry did an impression of Dorinda Medley that sounded more like Harvey Fierstein doing an impression of Dorinda Medley.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

At the hospital, Mike tells Sonny that he doesn’t need to come with him to his appointment. Sonny says he wants to, and Mike asks if Sonny thinks he’ll run away like a kid getting a booster shot. He tells Sonny to go run his empire. Sonny says he’s there just in case. Someone has to remember what the doctor said. Mike says he’s not an invalid – yet. Dante joins them, asking what’s going on. Sonny says things are fine, and asks what he’s doing there. Dante says he’s there for Mike’s appointment. Sonny wonders who called him, and Mike says he did.

Griff calls about the paternity test, and tells them they can messenger the results to his residence.

Kiki is looking at the copy of Gray’s Anatomy that David gave her, when Griff comes by. He asks if it’s a first edition, and she tells him it’s the first US edition. He says it’s still worth a lot, and asks how she got her hands on it. She says it’s a gift from Dr. Bensch. Griff says he must really like her.

Curtis is in Buffalo, New York, sneaking around a patio. Jordan calls. She knows better than to ask what he’s doing, but hopes he finds what he’s looking for. He tells her not to worry; he won’t take long. He says hypothetically, in a case like this, the logical place to look is the subject’s home office. She tells him, hypothetically, be careful, and don’t get caught. She can’t get him out. He says no one will even know he was there. She doesn’t like that he’s alone. He gets it, but it’s not like Jim is dangerous.

Sam shows Drew’s wedding ring to Elizabeth, telling her she found it in Jim’s room. Elizabeth says he just lied, and Sam says she’s not going to sit around trying to get the truth from him. She tells Elizabeth to take the ring to the police, and tell them to put out an APB. Elizabeth asks what about her, and Sam says she’ll be fine. If she can’t be found, just look for Jim. She’s not letting him out of her sight until she knows what he did to Franco and Drew.

Drew says maybe Franco pushed him, maybe he didn’t, but they were just little kids. All they know is that Jim is lying, and whatever he’s hiding must be pretty bad. Look where they are. Everything in the past doesn’t matter right now. What matters is them getting out and getting answers, and they’re going to get them together. He asks if that sounds okay, and Franco says that would be great. They hear a truck, and Drew says it sounds like a construction crew. Franco asks if he thinks it’s a good construction crew or a bad construction crew.

Up above, Jim’s construction worker thug is on the phone with him, and asks if he’s sure it’s the only way. Jim says there’s no choice. People are asking questions, and they have to disappear. The thug says it’s an awful way to go. Jim says they’re scheduled to seal the foundation, and just do his job. When it’s over, Drew and Franco will be buried forever.

Mike tells Sonny that he called Dante. He’s not senile yet, and knew he needed to bring someone. Dante thought Sonny knew, and says, sorry. Mike tells him not to apologize. It’s his appointment, and he wanted his grandson with him, not his son. Sonny says there’s nothing to forgive, but Mike says he doesn’t see forgiveness in Sonny’s eyes. Griff arrives, and tells Mike they’ll start of with a physical exam. He doesn’t need a family member until they go over the results. Mike asks if he was told that, and Griff says no one remembers, and he’s not just saying that to make him feel better. Dante says he’ll be there when Mike comes out. Griff takes Mike to the examining room, and Sonny says he didn’t know Mike had Dante’s number. Dante says he put it in Mike’s phone. Sonny thinks Mike doesn’t trust him.

David sees Kiki, and says he’s glad she’s putting the book to good use. Even first editions are made to be read and savored, not put on display and never touched. She tells him that she did some research, and saw how much it’s worth. David says some would consider it rude to discuss the price of a gift. Kiki says she can’t accept it, but he says it’s inscribed; she can’t give it back. Kiki tells him any book restorer can remove it. He says she worked hard to get accepted to medical school, and he’d like to think he did something to help. He tells her to think of it as an investment; a down payment for a long and fruitful relationship.

Elizabeth finds Jordan, who says she’s busy, but Elizabeth insists on showing her the ring. She tells Jordan about Sam finding it in Jim’s room after he denied seeing Drew. The last time Sam heard from Drew, he said he was dealing with Franco, which means they were together. Jim denied seeing either one of them, but the ring proves Drew was there. She and Sam believe Jim did something to them. Jordan doesn’t have to trust them, but the ring is evidence.

Sam listens outside Jim’s room. The thug tells Jim this could come back to bite them both, but Jim says they’re in the clear as long as the job gets done. The thug shakes his head, and tells the men to get started.

Drew says no one is checking the building, so either the men don’t know they’re there, or Jim told them to do it anyway. Franco says Jim has been perpetuating lies for decades, but doesn’t think he’s capable of murder, so they’re digging or drilling. Drew tells him to shut up and listen. They see something coming under the door that looks like grey slime.

Dante tells Sonny not to take it personally. Sonny says everyone is telling him to look at it from Mike’s point of view, but Mike’s reality keeps shifting. One minute he’s in the present, and the next, it’s thirty years ago. Dante says it’s the nature of the beast. Sonny says all the times they’ve forgiven, all that is out the window, and what’s left is distrust and resentment. Dante says that’s the effect the illness has. Mike doesn’t want to be a burden; no parent wants to be an obligation to their child. Sonny says Mike doesn’t trust him, but has to rely on him. He knows Dante doesn’t like what he does for a living, but thank God he’s rich. Dante tells him that’s an argument for another day. In the present, Mike trusts him, but in the past, all that pain and resentment comes back. Sonny says Mike thinks he doesn’t listen, and he has to admit sometimes he doesn’t hear him.

Kiki tells David that he doesn’t have to give her an expensive gift to strengthen their relationship; they make a good team already. David has something else in mind, and would like to talk to her in private about it. He tells her to come to his office, and promises she won’t be disappointed. He won’t take no for an answer.

Curtis breaks into Jim’s house. He wonders if he was proof of illegal drilling, where would he be? He sees Jim’s desk and computer, and says, jackpot.

Jordan tells Elizabeth that if Jim is as dangerous as he seems, she needs to let the person investigating him know. She asks if Elizabeth is positive he lied, and she says, absolutely. Jordan wonders if what he said about Franco doing something to Drew might be possible, but Elizabeth says Jim was just trying to get in her head. He wanted them to suspect Franco instead of him. She knows it’s circumstantial, but Jordan says the ring isn’t. She tells the desk sergeant to have Chase interview Elizabeth, and put Franco and Drew in the system as missing persons. When that’s done, she wants Jim questioned.

Jim ponders, flashing back to telling Franco he was born bad, that he saw Franco be a bad boy, and everyone knows he’s a liar. He remembers Drew busting in and coming to Franco’s defense, asking what Jim did to him. There’s a knock at the door. The manager tells Jim that his SUV is parked in a handicapped spot, and he has to move it. Jim says he’s practically the only tenant, and the manager says someone called and complained. He doesn’t want the cops on his ass, so move it. Jim leaves, and Sam goes into his room.

Sam looks through Jim’s papers and folders. She rifles through everything, and finds some documents. She looks at a permit, and says there’s a new foundation scheduled for today.

Drew says that’s cement, and Franco wonders what it’s doing there. Drew says the sound is a cement truck pouring foundation. Franco says it turns out Jim is trying to kill them.

Sam texts Elizabeth, explaining where she is. Elizabeth texts back that she’s waiting for a detective. Sam says she found something.

Curtis remarks that saved passwords will be the death of us all, and gets into Jim’s files. I think Jim just isn’t very bright. He sees something about the natural gas deposits, and says, got you, you crooked SOB.

Kiki goes to David’s office. He tells her that he’s recommend her for the Shadow Program. If selected, she’ll get to shadow senior physicians in various departments, which will give her considerable advantage over the rest of the class. She thanks David, saying it’s generous. David says she seems stressed, and asks if it’s still about midterms. She says they’re very important, so yeah. He tells her she won’t be able to retain information until she relaxes. He rubs her shoulders. I know what Kiki is thinking, and know what we’re supposed to be thinking, but that usually means it’s not what it seems. Even if it is, I’ll say it again, she could do worse.

With Mike’s physical done, Griff wants to discuss their options as a family. Dante says he’s leaving Mike in good hands. He’s a coach for his son’s T-ball team, and forgot they have a pizza party today. Mike says that Sonny was the second-best stickball player in the neighborhood. It turns out that Olivia-Q was the first. Mike wonders what happened to her. He tells Dante it’s important to show up for your children. Dante leaves, and Mike suggests he and Sonny go to Tony’s watch the kids play ball. Sonny says they’ve got to do what the doctor says first. Griff wants to schedule a few more tests and discuss the next steps.

Sam takes pictures of the documents. Jim is outside the door, digging for his key. I go, eeeee!

Elizabeth suddenly appears back at the hotel. Jim asks if she’d like to come in. She says she has to get home, so she’ll just say what she has to out there. He asks why she came back, and she tells him that she wanted to thank him for his honesty about Franco. She suspects he might have done something to Drew. He wonders what changed, since she was really pretty adamant that he was wrong. She says she gets defensive when it comes to Drew and Sam. They blame Franco for everything. Sam puts everything back in its place, and leaves via the balcony. Elizabeth says that Jim got her thinking. Maybe they’re right this time. She wonders if she’s been lying to herself, and asks if Jim really thinks Franco could have killed Drew to keep the secret. Jim says she’d be surprised at what lengths men will go to bury the truth.

Chase asks the desk sergeant where the witness is, and he says she had to leave. He shows him the ring, now in an evidence bag, and reads from the report, telling Chase that Franco and Drew are now reported missing. Sam and Elizabeth were searching for them, and confronted Jim, who knew them when they were children. He stated he hadn’t seen them, but Sam found the ring in his motel room. The commissioner wants him to handle it, since she had to leave on a personal emergency.

Curtis says, guess what? Jim isn’t the only one who hit the mother lode. He puts a flash drive into the computer and copies the files. He hears someone coming in, and draws his gun. It’s Jordan.

David says no wonder Kiki isn’t retaining things; he can feel the tension. He tells her the Shadow Program is a fast track to an amazing career. Kiki looks at all the degrees and awards on his wall. He tells her that she’s one of his favorites, and she tells him to stop.

Griff tells Mike that he scored a little lower than last time, but is an excellent candidate for one of the medications. He says not all patients respond to the medication the same way. Some see an improvement, for some it stops the symptoms from getting worse, and for some, there’s no difference. It’s impossible to know until he tries. For some people, the effects last years. Mike says, so it’s not a cure, but might delay the inevitable. Sonny says if it gives him a few more years, it’s a few more years he didn’t have before. Mike says he’s still going to die, and Sonny says they’re all going to die. A lot can happen in a few years. Griff says new discoveries are made every day. Mike says he has no insurance, and he’s not going bankrupt for a medication they don’t even know will work. Sonny says he’ll cover it, and Mike says he doesn’t want charity. Sonny tells him it’s not charity; it’s family. Mike doesn’t want to be a burden, but Sonny suggests he try the medication. He’s already being a pita, and he will be a burden if he doesn’t. Sonny immediately apologizes; he didn’t mean it. Mike says he did, and now he knows why the power of attorney was so important. He stomps out.

David asks Kiki, what’s wrong? She tells him, nothing, but he says she’s jittery. She tells him that she doesn’t like being touched, and he says she’ll have to get over it if she’s going to be a doctor. She says she doesn’t mind touching patients; it’s people touching her that she’s not crazy about. David says he’s a doctor, and trust him, the tension she’s carrying is not good. He’s trying to promote a greater sense of well-being that he tries to enshrine in the fresh blood. He thinks she’s special, but didn’t realize they weren’t on the same page.

Curtis asks what Jordan is doing there. What happened to jurisdiction and all that? She says she couldn’t reach him, and he asks if she teleported there. (Thank you!) She says she took the police helicopter. It’s worse than they thought. Jim is dangerous, and it’s not just shady business deals. He might have killed Franco and Drew.

Jim asks if Elizabeth wants to come in and talk. He can share some insight. She sees Sam peek out down the hall, and says, no thanks. She just needed to hear it again, so she’d stop lying to herself. He wishes he was wrong. They say goodnight. When he gets into his room, Sam grabs Elizabeth, telling her that she thinks Drew and Franco are being held at a construction site scheduled for demolition today, and says, let’s go.

Franco tells Drew that he’s not dying in a sub-basement with him. Drew says to stop moving; they’re not dying. He’s going back to his wife, and Franco is going back to Elizabeth. If they pour cement down there, then they can escape up there. They look at a wall that has footholds.

Sonny tells Griff  the disease is just as hard on loved ones and family as the patient. He wasn’t prepared for that. Griff says there are resources if he needs to talk to someone. Sonny brings up Stella, and Griff says it’s not the first rodeo for either of them. Sonny says his and Morgan’s illness doesn’t compare to what Mike is going through. He asks what’s next, and Griff says they need schedule a follow-up before he can be given the medication. Sonny tells Griff to give it to him straight. With or without the medication, how long does Mike have? Griff says it’s impossible to predict, but Sonny asks for a ballpark. Griff says he knows already that patients have four to eight years from the time of diagnosis, but he’s seen them go ten to twenty years. The three stages are mild, moderate, and severe, and Mike is in the moderate stage. Sonny says it’s happening fast, and Griff says the moderate stage takes the longest. Sonny says Mike is going to be a confused and paranoid SOB from now on. In the end, he’ll thank God he had today. Griff says it could take years. If he were Sonny, he would make the most of the moments he has left with his dad.

Kiki tells David they’re on the same page; she’s just sensitive about boundaries. He says as long as she’s sure. He thought they wanted the same thing; for her to succeed. She appreciates everything he’s done for her, and thanks him for his recommendation. He says he’s sure she’ll have questions, and they should set up a time to meet. She leaves, and looks worried. I’m loving her giant bag.

Curtis says Jim has had 24-hours to cover his tracks. What do they know that’s concrete? Jordan tells him about the wedding band, and that she’s put out an APB on Drew and Franco. The sooner they find them, the better. Curtis says Jim is going down. He has all the evidence to link him to illegal drilling. Jordan tells him that she was never there, and doesn’t know anything. As soon as there’s an anonymous tip to the PCPD, they can move forward. They start to leave, and suddenly turn around, guns drawn. Curtis says, what the hell was that?

Tomorrow, Ava will not risk losing Griff, Chase questions Jim, and Sam says there must be another way out.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Erika discusses her dog’s poop with a member of her staff (the poop picker-upper?), and how it looks healthy. Celebrities! They’re just like us! In all truth, that’s one way to tell the health of a baby or pet, since they can’t talk to you.

Teddi calls Dorit to apologize for what she said to LisaR. In the moment, she only thought about herself. Dorit asks why Teddi didn’t just talk to her tomorrow, but Teddi doesn’t know if she’s going, since things were rough with Erika. In her interview, Dorit seems insulted by the “sorry apology” that Teddi thinks makes it okay. Huh? At first, I liked Dorit – she was amusing – but now, she acts like she’s royalty or something. Only LVP is allowed to wear a crown. Dorit tells Teddi that she’s been sullying her reputation, and it’s starting to seem intentional. In her interview, Teddi says she’d love it if just once someone could accept an apology and move on without drama. Dorit accepts her apology, but probably isn’t moving on, and certainly not without drama.

Oooh! Rottweiler puppy! LisaR is getting ready for her mom’s visit.

Kyle meets Teddi for lunch. She just got done doing some makeup on the kids for Sophia’s school portrait day. Must be nice. Teddi tells her about what happened with Erika, and how Erika agreed with what she’d said, then pretended to have amnesia. An alien took over her body. Kyle says that’s how it was in Hong Kong. Maybe Erika holds so much in, she snaps when it finally comes out. Kyle thinks Erika might apologize, but Teddi says if not, she’ll remember it’s someone who did this to her more than once. It’s not how you treat women when you claim to empower other women. Even if Erika doesn’t like her, she doesn’t have to be mean. LVP calls Kyle. She couldn’t sleep, and doesn’t even want to go to the dog rescue center. Pink Dog died. She had a heart attack. In her interview, LVP says her dogs are like her furry children, and then has to stop the interview because she’s starting to cry. Teddi says she gave Pink Dog a good life. Kyle tells her rest and take care of herself. I tear up.

LisaR’s mom Lois arrives. LisaR says since her father’s passing, she’s grown more protective and has a deeper relationship with her mom. Her mom sort of blossomed as well. They’ve tried to get her to live in LA, but she isn’t having it. She’s become the queen bee of the retirement home in Oregon. LisaR tells Lois not to let the ladies get sassy at lunch. She had a stroke a couple of years ago, and LisaR thinks it was a blessing in disguise. It took away everything, but Lois’s happiness and living in the moment. Lois fawns over the puppy.

Erika is having her makeup done, and asks Mikey to tell her about Girl Cult. He says it’s a female empowerment event. In her interview, Erika says it’s like the TED talks meets Coachella meets girl power. Mikey says a moderator will ask questions. It’s boss bitches telling their secrets to young, cool girls. Erika thinks it’s important to show young women they have a chance and a future, and there are possibilities for them.

Lois does a dance number for Snapchat.

Teddi picks up Kyle. Kyle asks if Erika is coming, but Teddi doesn’t know. She thinks Lois will be a good buffer with the women.

LisaR says her mom is excited to meet the girls. She knows some of them, but not all of them. She’d like to bring Lois to every lunch and dinner. Camille arrives first, and hopes Lois can instill some wisdom. LisaR says she and Dorit have made great strides. On cue, Dorit walks in next, and says they’ve moved through some yucky stuff. She tells them about her swimwear line. She’s looking forward to seeing it for real. It’s like having a baby. She prattles on, and Camille gets a headache.

Kyle and Teddi join the group. Dorit asks Lois what she did for work. Lois says she’d wanted to be an actress, but no one would go to New York with her, so she waited for her kids to do it. LisaR says Erika had a work commitment, and won’t be coming. In her interview, Teddi says it feels nice not to walk on eggshells. LisaR explains LVP is still torn up about the dog; she died in Ken’s lap. This is ripping my heart out.

Ken goes to the pet graveyard with Giggy – Giggy! – and puts flowers by Pink Dog’s headstone. Aw, she was only five. LVP joins him with Harrison. Harrison! Ken says it was one of the shocks of his life. In her interview, LVP says she doesn’t do well when she loses one of the children. Ken tells her he should have seen it. She wasn’t quite right in the morning. LVP tells him not to blame himself; it’s not his fault. He even tried mouth-to-mouth, and she doesn’t know what else he could have done. She suggest they have some tea, since, according to the English, tea makes everything better.

Kyle is having a séance with the help of Rebecca, her psychic. It’s the only way she can get ahold of her mom these days. Teddi is nervous because husband isn’t into it, but she wants to be supportive, and still thinks it’s cool. The ladies order lunch. Lois gets French toast, and Kyle says she’s looking forward to eating like that. They marvel at Lois being 89, and she says she’s been happy all the time after her stroke. Even when her husband died, she wasn’t as sad as she would have been. In her interview, LisaR says Lois taught her to live in the moment. LisaR hands out cardigan dusters from her clothing line. Kyle says Lois could teach a lot to the group. Lois asks if they drink a lot, and Teddi says it depends on the day.

The guests prepare for Girl Cult. Erika says as women, they owe it to themselves to lift each other up. It’s the only way they’ll advance. Erika is introduced. She talks about how women are the future, and there’s room at the table for all of them. The monitor asks how she stays out of the drama, and Erika says you don’t have to contribute. I say, hmm… She suggests looking up to someone, and receive what they have to teach you. In her interview, she says you have to be your own best advocate.

Kyle is having the séance catered, which I think is the only proper way to do it. She thinks it’s the perfect send-off for her house. She’s excited about moving, but scared about leaving the house she loved.

Teddi comes by to pick up LVP. LVP tells her that she had to rush Pikachu to the vet, and now he’s on a ventilator. When it rains, it pours; it’s overwhelming. She tells Teddi that she seems to have recovered from the fiasco the other night, and asks if she went to LisaR’s lunch. Teddi says she did, but Erika wasn’t there. Tonight, she’s just aiming for not leaving in tears. LVP says she didn’t even hear from Erika after Pink Dog passed away. Harrison! She tells Teddi that she’s not that interested in the séance unless Pink Dog comes through.

Kyle says Rebecca is like a guidance counselor. We flash back to other times Rebecca has been on the show. Kyle introduces her daughters, and Rebecca says her youngest client is four.

Erika picks up LisaR. LisaR says she missed her, and gives her a cardigan.

LVP arrives at Kyle’s, and thanks her for the flowers. She’d rather not talk about it though.

Erika tells LisaR that she has an idea. She has a work opportunity in Berlin, but doesn’t want to go by herself. She asks what LisaR thinks about everyone coming along. In her interview, Erika thinks it’s a nice way to reach out, get out of town, and forget the bullsh*t. She says this could be the last good moment they have before séance.

LisaR tells Kyle that her dress is very séancey. She gives LVP a cardigan. LVP says she appreciated LisaR’s kind words. Kyle introduces Rebecca to everyone. In her interview, Teddi says Erika not acknowledging her, shows how okay she is. In her interview, Erika thinks Teddi is too difficult to be friends with. She doesn’t want to work that hard. Wow. I guess she considers being sensitive to someone else’s feelings working hard. Kyle tells them about meeting Rebecca, and how she knew something Kyle hadn’t told anyone. Rebecca says she’s been receiving calls from heaven on her telephone. She’s bridging the gap between technology and spirituality.

She has proof heaven knows her phone number, and calls God Poppa God. Everyone acts all weird about that, but actually, in the Bible, He’s called Abba Father, which literally means Daddy. Rebecca says heaven is real. It has technology, and she’s proved it. In her interview, LVP says she can’t even get Nieman Marcus on the phone. LVP tells Erika that she’d felt like they were getting close, but she’s brokenhearted, and wonders why Erika didn’t even call. Erika hugs her, and says she’s sorry about Pink Dog. In her interview, Erika say the truth is, she just found out, and didn’t have a chance to respond. The ladies go outside to eat.

Kyle says sometimes you just need a taco. Teddi says you have to differentiate between eating something because you want to, and when you’re eating for emotional reasons. At the buffet, LVP tells Kyle that everyone should stop being so honest, and bullsh*t instead. Rebecca says she’s hearing from a Francis, and LisaR says it’s her father. Rebecca tells LisaR that he’s there. So is Marilyn Monroe. In her interview, LisaR says that whether he’s there or not, she wants to believe it. It’s comforting. After dinner, they go to the dining room to call heaven.

Kyle tells us she’s decorated appropriately with candles, crystals, and a crystal ball – but no electronic cigarettes. We flash back to Allison DuBois and the dinner party from hell. Rebecca says there’s good energy, and John Lennon is sitting with them. In her interview, LVP isn’t buying it. Kyle asks if her mom is happy with her projects. Rebecca says her mother wants her to portray her true to her nature, and she needs to step up the hair and wardrobe. In her interview, Teddi says she doesn’t believe, but wants to be respectful. Rebecca talks about Dorit meeting her husband in another life, and that LVP has three dogs running around. Pink Dog is one of them. She says she never goes on Twitter, but for some reason did, and saw LVP’s tweet about it. LVP says she has had three dogs pass. Rebecca tells Erika that she has psychic ability. Erika tells them that she’s seen two people’s entire existence. She’s not naming names, but they would know who it was. Okay. Rebecca asks if Erika has a connection to Spain. Erika says she was kidnapped in a previous life, and lived in bottom of a ship. A knight saved her. Double okay. LVP asks how she knows that, and Erika says someone told her. In her interview, Teddi says she’ll have to up her persona game. Rebecca says someone is there for Teddi. A young female.

They’re saying hello to Teddi; they’ve been waiting to talk to her, and love her earrings. Me too. Giant multiple hoops are everything. Teddi says a young girl in her 6th grade class who died riding horses was a friend of hers. In her interview, Teddi feels badly because she’d almost blocked her out. She’s getting emotional thinking about her, since she’d forgotten. Rebecca asks if Teddi has a house with a big deck, and Teddi says her beach house. Rebecca says her friend likes to come there, and is saying she married well. In her interview, Teddi still doesn’t believe it, but she’s thankful for the opportunity to think about her friend. Whether it was God, timing, or a lucky guess, she’s glad the memory isn’t blocked anymore. She misses her friend. Rebecca’s phone rings, and Kyle says her mom is calling, but it’s a client. The girls go back outside for dessert.

Erika tells everyone that she might have business in Berlin, and maybe they’d all like to go. She says there’s lots of artsy stuff, and they can drink beer, wear lederhosen, and have a good time. In her interview, Erika says she’s including Teddi because she thinks the group should stay together. She suggests everyone set their differences aside, and Kyle asks what about her and Teddi. Erika says she knows they’ve had words, but she apologizes for losing her temper. She doesn’t like to lose it; however, pretend amnesia is different from amnesia. They can discuss it another time. In her interview, Teddi thinks they’re moving forward for the convenience of their other friendships, but she’s excited to go. Erika offers to call everyone’s husband, and possibly give them a BJ. LisaR says she can’t wait to tell Harry – #IsThatWhatHarryDid – and on that note, goodnight.

Next time, Edwin talks about being a full-time dad, LVP premieres her Yulan film, and the Berlin trip happens.

🌆 Bethenny & Fredrik wrapped it up tonight. This short-seasoned show centered around them buying an NYC apartment, and renovating it for sale. Fredrik and Derek’s pending fatherhood, by having twins through a surrogate, was also a side story. I’m certain they will be great parents. The kids will grow up privileged for sure, but I can also see them being somewhat strict, as well as open-hearted. A favorite moment was when Fredrik, being overly-enthusiastic, spilled wine on the master bedroom headboard the evening before the open house. Luckily, Bethenny knows Dorinda Medley (The Real Housewives of New York City) whose creeper boyfriend John is in the dry-cleaning business. Another amusing scene was Fredrik suggesting they use Skinny Girl cocktail napkins in place of toilet paper, which no one got for the open house. For one, I don’t think you want a paper napkin flushed down that expensive toilet, and two, really? I know living in NYC means knowing where all the bathrooms are, but did they expect not one in four hundred people needing to go? And where did the ladies who staged the place go? Did they have a porta-potty in there? As Bethenny said, they laughed, cried, and had growing pains, but lived to tell about it. I hope they give this another shot, as it was a fun ride.

🔎 Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel (HMM) will be having a Monk marathon, starting Saturday at 9 am. I love Tony Shaloub. I’m not a sitcom person, but I still miss Stark Raving Mad, and he was wonderful in the remake of Thirteen Ghosts.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

The Walking Dead

Negan smiles, Simon squints, Dwight looks like he has a headache. Negan tells Dwight, welcome home, and says it’s good having him back. He needs his top guys out in front acing this sh*t. He heard Dwight had a close call. Dwight tells him that they were ambushed, and makes up an explanation. Negan says his people need to keep their business in order. He tells Dwight to slug a beer, and put on his best clothes. They have work to do.

Negan has his men gut some zombies. He says Hilltop will drop to their knees when they see what he’s packing. Simon says it’s about scaring them. No head shots, just flesh wounds, and if they die, let them turn; don’t kill them. He tells Dwight to ride with him. Dwight says he’s going to scout on his bike, but Simon says they have more expendable scouts for that. Not that Dwight is expendable. Ride with him, and he’ll bring Dwight up to speed on the plan. Dwight gets in the truck

Negan puts the business end of Lucille into a bucket of zombie guts.

Rick cuddles Judith. Daryl approves. Rick visits the graves of those they’ve lost. Daryl thinks about the people who are gone, and the ones still there. It ain’t right or fair. He says he’d just wanted it done at the Sanctuary, and didn’t care who was there. Rick says he didn’t want to risk killing innocent people, and should have just cared about theirs. Daryl says, keep fighting. Rick is going to Hilltop, and Daryl says he’ll go too. Rick thinks they should split up; cover as much ground as they can. He insists he’s okay, and tells Daryl thanks Rick for getting them there.

Maggie wonders if they’ll come back. Rosita says they’ll just keep things going. It will be harder when it’s quiet. Maggie says, not if Negan’s dead; not for her. Rosita says not her either. Maggie looks through binoculars, and sees someone messing with a milk crate near the forest.

Simon asks what Dwight makes of the road trip. He says, let’s rap; let’s get candid; let’s get weird. There’s nobody here but us chickens. Here’s the point where I would jump out of the moving car. In Simon’s analysis, Hilltop will cower and cave when they deliver yet another warning. Dwight says they don’t get paid to think, but Simon values Dwight’s opinion. He’s been on both sides of the iron. Simon has his doubts it will deliver the desired outcome. Dwight asks if Simon thinks they should do something different, but he says, no. They’re going with the big man’s plan. They’ve thrown a lot at Rick’s people, but they keep fighting. He keeps seeing the same answer – they don’t scare. I’m wondering why they would at this point, since they live in a world run by zombies.

Maggie gets a message from the milk crate person, asking for food and phonograph records in exchange for the key to the future. Michonne says they’re not Saviors. Rosita says if it’s a trap, it’s obvious. Maggie tells them that’s what makes it a trap. Michonne asks, what if they’re trying to help? Maggie thinks there are two outcomes; they can miss out or die. Michonne says she’ll go. The last time she took chance, it changed everything. Rick might not agree or understand, but eventually he will. Maggie keeps looking through the binoculars, and decides they’ll go.

Simon and Dwight decide to stick to the plan, and don’t engage. Looking through his binoculars, Rick sees the Saviors coming through. He sees Negan driving by, and gets in his car.

Rick follows Negan, who steps on the gas, and Rick gives chase. Dwight and Simon see, but don’t realize it’s Rick. They follow, and Simon tells the others to stay in their lane; they might have company. He thinks there might be others. He meets the rest of the Saviors, and tells them that someone pushed Negan off the road, but it looks like just one driver; nothing they can’t handle. Just in case, he and Dwight are going to check it out; it might be a ploy to divide them. He made sure no one else could come that way by turning the truck sideways to block the street. He tells the others to do the same on that end, and cut down anything that comes close. He and Dwight are going to locate their benefactor.

Negan’s car is on it’s side, and he opens his eyes to a car full of guts. Rick gets out shooting, and Negan scrambles out of the car. Zombies are coming from everywhere. For the first time ever, Negan looks scared, and runs into the closest building. Rick runs after him, but Negan is waiting, and whacks him with Lucille. Negan jets, and Rick runs after him, shooting. Zombies begin to amble in. Negan runs upstairs, and Rick runs out of bullets. Negan tells him to come on up, and Rick chucks an ax at him. Dodging it, Negan crashes into the railing, which breaks apart, and he falls. He manages to hang on, but as Rick is about to bring down the ax on his hands, he lets go, but doesn’t miss the opportunity to call Rick an a-hole.

Michonne, Maggie, and Enid come to a van turned sideways in the road. Three women stand in front, and the leader, an older blonde woman, introduces herself as Georgie. The other two are her dark-haired protectors, twins Hilda and Midge. Georgie thinks they must be curious to see what they get for food and music. She adds that the records must be music; no spoken word. Because they’re out there, she sees they can take care of themselves. She doesn’t share with the weak.

Rosita pats the women down. Maggie wants them to give what they have, but Georgie says she can’t do it. What she’s bearing is knowledge, which is primarily in her head, and she’d prefer to keep her head where it is. This isn’t a trick; it’s a trade. Maggie asks, why, and Georgie says, what else should she do? Rosita looks in the truck, but Georgie says what’s in there isn’t part of the deal. She asks how many are in the community, and Maggie says not many. Georgie says they have something special. The apocalypse has brought out the best and the worst of people. So far, the worst are out-pacing them, but it won’t last forever, and the good will be worthless without a sustainable future. Enid says there’s no way people survive doing what they’re doing. Georgie says they do, and will. She can divine that they’re a fine group, manners notwithstanding. Maggie says they’re coming back to Hilltop.

Negan whistles, the thing I hate most about him. Rick asks if he’s still alive. Negan says he’s a goddam cat. He looks for Lucille, and a zombie drops down. Rick asks where Negan’s people are; shouldn’t they be here by now? Negan says they’re coming, but Rick says this is where he dies, in the dark, all alone. Negan asks what the hell Rick’s problem is. He thought they were working through sh*t, but Rick is the most stubborn pr*ck he’s ever crossed d*cks with. Was Negan a sailor before the apocalypse? Negan asks Rick to let him save them. He’s good at it. Their kids will grow up safe. They haven’t lost one in the communities he’s taken over. They were doing fine until Rick came along. Rick sees a door with boards nailed across it. One of them says EATERS!

Negan says Rick failed his boy, and failed his people. It makes him sick thinking about it; the wasted potential. He says there’s still hope for Rick though. A onetime deal made in memory of Rick’s badass son, someone he actually respected. If Rick gets his people to fall in line, the arrangement is back in place and all is forgiven. He’ll even lower his take to 25%, but Rick has to work for him doing janitorial work. His people will live like 75% kings. It’s like Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa all rolled into one. Rick says, after what he did to Tardis’s Jadis’s people? Negan is like, huh? and Rick says they killed a whole community of scavengers. A whole community wiped out; is that how he saves people? Negan says, son of a bitch. Rick says it’s times like this when you realize who your true friends are. No one is coming for him.

Rick finds Lucille.

Simon figures Dwight must have thought about clipping Negan himself. Negan took his wife and burned his face. Dwight says, no, not once. Simon is impressed, saying Dwight chose to survive instead of focusing on his own discomforts. Dwight says he did what he had too. Simon tells him their leader isn’t doing the same. If it was his call, he’d branch out, find new places, and make new relationships. He’d make sure the Saviors survive and move on from past discomforts (his word of the day), as Dwight chose to. What does he say? Dwight says, move on.

They see Negan’s car, but no Negan. Simon thinks he could be anywhere; alive, dead, or somewhere in between. They could face a distasteful moment, or walk away, get back to their people, and make things better. This is a critical point in history. Something to tell their grandkids about. Dwight lights a cigarette, which is what we’d all do at this point. He takes a drag, then flicks it at the car, which bursts into flames. Simon tells him, good answer.

Maggie tells Jerry that it will be dark soon, and to get ready. He knows what to do. Michonne says she should make a deal with Georgie, or let them go before the Saviors get there. Maggie says she can’t let them go. She has mouths to feed, and they have crates of food. Let me just stop here and say, excuse me? Is she suggesting they do basically what the Saviors do? Enid says Maggie is right. If they don’t take it, someone else will, and kill them. It’s a miracle they’re still alive. The Saviors are on their way, and they’re going to fight. Why give a sh*t about people who don’t give a sh*t? They need to stop pretending things just work out; they don’t. Michonne says Carl rescued Siddiq. Now they have a doctor and a friend. She says Carl was brave, and Enid says, now he’s dead. Michonne tells Enid to step back, and Enid wisely leaves without arguing. Maggie tells Michonne things just don’t work out, and Michonne says, no, they don’t. Carl knew that, but didn’t give up on what Rick wanted him to be, and they can’t either.

Rick tells Negan he can’t save him, his people, or anyone, because he doesn’t care about people. He uses them. The only thing he cares about is his bat, and he can’t even save that. He’ll make a deal with Negan. He can kill her goodbye. Negan says, don’t touch her, and Rick sets Lucille on fire. He tells Negan to come get her. He starts battering the boards across the door. Negan rushes him, and they both fall into the room.

Zombies grab at them. Rick tries to whack Negan, and sets a couple of zombies on fire. Negan calls him, a goddam psychopath, saying he’ll get them both killed. Rick says as long as he goes first. Negan shoves him, and they tussle. Negan gets Lucille back. Rick punches out some zombies, and Negan climbs out a window. Rick follows.

Negan comes out to the parking lot, and is like, dude, where’s my car?

Michonne brings out records. Georgie says she’s changing the terms. They can have a sizeable portion of the food. They need it more. Maggie wonders in exchange for what? Georgie says, records and good faith. It’s not a gift; it’s a barter. She’ll be back. Maybe not for a while, but she expects great things. She takes out a thick manuscript, with the title, A Key to the Future. She tells Maggie there are handwritten plans for windmills, irrigation, and such; a book of medieval human achievement. They can have a future from the past. The originals are in her head, but she made a few photocopies. Maggie thanks her. Georgie tells her to build the place up. She wants a crate filled when she comes back. Maggie says she’ll see what can do. Georgie and her friends leave. I swear, I saw the same guy walk behind Maggie in the exact same way twice during that conversation.

Enid tells Michonne that she killed Netanya. I’m hoping Enid feels like a big jerk right about now. She says Netanya was out there, killing whoever she came across, so she killed her. She killed someone, and is alive; Carl saved someone, and he’s dead. How are they supposed to do this? Stop fighting? Michonne doesn’t think Carl wanted them to stop fighting. He’d want them to fight for the future, but to get to the future, they have to do more than fighting. The Saviors are coming. They’re going to fight them, but they have to be something after.

The Saviors stand around picking their noses. Dwight and Simon return the group. One of the Saviors asks where Negan is, and Simon tells him that they couldn’t find him. Dwight says he wasn’t in his car, just blood. The Savior asks, what’s next? and Simon asks who he is. He says, Negan. Simon tells them that they’re all Negan. It doesn’t matter if he’s not there. They’re still Negan. They don’t know if he’s gone; he could be back, but their plan is Negan’s plan. They go to Hilltop, and put the fear of God in them until they get with the program. After what they just did, it’s beyond time for them to accept it, but once they do, it will become crystal clear. They have one thing left to do. They must expunge them; redact them. They’re a mistake that shall now be erased. They’re moving on. He sounds like Negan. Dwight ponders heavily about Negan.

Negan sleeps in a car, while someone else drives. It’s Xanax Jadis, who has a gun on him with her free hand. He opens his eyes, and laughs. He says, well, sh*t. She tells him to shut up, and whacks him in the head with the butt of the gun.

Next time, Maggie says, here we go.

😱 Next week, March 25th, Talking Dead will be on an hour later. Following Walking Dead, AMC will be showing a sneak preview of their new series, The Terror, which premieres on Monday, March 26th. Based on a true story, The Terror is about a Royal Naval expedition searching for the Arctic’s treacherous Northwest Passage. Instead, they discover a monstrous predator. From what I’ve seen, it looks freaky good, and I’m definitely giving it a look.

⛲ I’ve been watching To Rome for Love, but face it, we already know the end to these long-distance romance stories. Unless they end up on 90 Day Fiancé, it ain’t happenin’. Seriously, if you want a crappy relationship, you can find one here.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Anna sees Valentin at the MetroCourt and sits down. He says it’s a nice surprise, but he’s expecting someone for an important business dinner, and will need the chair back. She tells him that she went to Brussels with Andre; she decided to track down the midwife. He asks if she had success. She says the midwife passed away, but her daughter supplied some information. Why the hell did he lie to her?

Griff finds Peter in the examining room. He says he’s there for genetic testing. Griff says the hospital is backed up, but if it’s pressing, he’ll do it. Peter says he recently learned his father had Huntington’s disease.

Ava teaches Avery about minimalism. Kiki fawns over her, saying she’ll never study with this munchkin around. Ava suggests she take a break, and says maybe this time together will lead to a more permanent arrangement.

Carly tells Sonny that Mike is calmer, but he keeps asking if Morgan needs his room back. Sonny say she shouldn’t have to deal with this. She says his father is terrified, and unsure of losing himself to Alzheimer’s. Sonny doesn’t want it disrupting her and the kids’ lives, but she says they’re tough. Sonny asks what about Avery, and Carly says she’ll see that family sticks together. They need to be present for him, so he can be present with them. Sonny puts on his Captain Obvious hat, and says it’s going to be hard. Carly knows, and says Mike will have to make some decisions while he still can.

Drew goes to the art therapy room, and tells Franco that he had a chat with Jim. Franco has been hiding things from him, and it’s going to stop right now.

Jason tells Sam that Elizabeth sees Franco one way, and he sees Franco another. He told her the truth that he was going to leave Franco, but Sam wouldn’t let him. Sam tells him not to make her sound noble. She didn’t want to keep the secret; it’s not worth it. She says she still hasn’t told Drew that she loves him. Elizabeth hears them. Jason tells her they’ve said how they feel; that’s enough. She doesn’t have to do anything. Sam says, yes, she does. She needs to tell Drew that she’s been lying to him and herself.

Sonny asks Carly, what decisions? She asks if Mike has a will, and Sonny says it’s not like he’s at death’s door. She says he’s already having trouble with rational thought. Soon, he won’t be of sound mind, and won’t be able to make decisions, like about his end of life care. Sonny doesn’t want to do this right now, but she says they need to have the conversation while Mike is still lucid. He tells her, not right now, then apologizes for snapping. She says she doesn’t mean to push, but it’s scary; Mike is slipping already. Sonny says he isn’t up to it today, and he has to pick up Avery. They’ll talk about it tomorrow. They exchange I love yous, he leaves, and she sighs. She probably caught that from Jason.

Ava tells Kiki that Avery looks like an angel. Kiki wonders if she misunderstood. She thought last night was the sleepover. Ava says it was originally, but in all the confusion over the earthquake, she thought it would be better if Avery stayed another night. Kiki asks if Sonny agreed, and Ava says she’ll explain that Avery is already asleep. Kiki can’t believe it. He just gave her a major concession. Ava says he gave her nothing, and Kiki says, that’s right; she blackmailed him. Ava asks if they really need to do this, and Kiki says she can’t face the uncomfortable reality of what she’s doing. If she pushes it, she might destroy the little progress she’s made. Ava thinks things could change. Who thought six months ago, she’d be back at the gallery and be having Avery sleep over? Kiki adds that Ava and Griff are also a couple, but that could change if she’s not honest with him and herself. She gathers up her stuff, and leaves.

Griff asks if Peter’s father has shown any symptoms, but Peter says he passed away. He didn’t know the diagnosis until after his death. They didn’t have the best relationship. Griff tells him there’s a 50% chance of him inheriting the gene, and the disease usually presents itself between ages thirty and forty. He says there’s not much that can be done medically, except treat the symptoms. He asks if Peter has had any problems, but Peter says he’s been healthy his whole life. Griff says there are two schools of thought about it; to know or not. Finding out could lead to stress and depression. Peter says he needs to know, and Griff tells him that he’ll arrange tor a test today. He needs Peter’s medical history, and asks about Peter’s mother. Peter says he doesn’t know who she is.

Anna tells Valentin that the midwife kept detailed records, and she gave birth to a boy. Valentin says he saw a baby girl, but Anna says the document listed her alias, the date of birth, and said it was a boy. Valentin knows what he saw, or what he thought he saw. Anna asks what that was.

Drew tells Franco that Jim told him everything, and Franco calls Jim sleazy, saying he doesn’t believe a word Jim says. Drew says that Jim told him about Franco pushing him down the stairs, but Franco says he’s hiding something else. Drew tells him that Jim also claimed Franco told him to keep his mouth shut. He knows something else is going on, and Franco says, yeah, Jim is a liar.

Jason tells Sam that she doesn’t owe anyone any explanations. She says she’s confused; she loves Drew too. She doesn’t want to hurt either of them, and dragging it out just makes it worse. If she’d been honest from the start, they wouldn’t be having this problem. He tells her to do what she thinks is right, even if that means doing nothing. He says not to worry about him; take care of herself and the kids. If she needs him for anything, just call. Sam walks away and sees Elizabeth. They look at each other.

Anna wonders how Valentin could be confused. Her superiors never even suspected she’d been with Faison, but he did, and followed her to Brussels. He kept the secret all these years. How does such an excellent spy make a mistake like that? Valentin says the midwife handed the baby to the adoptive parents wrapped in a pink blanket, and he made the assumption. It might have been her intention, so there would be no trail. He asks if the records said anything else. She tells him to have good dinner, and leaves.

Peter explains to Griff that his mother abandoned him at birth. She was a working girl, but he doesn’t have much to go on, even if he cared to look. Griff says even if she didn’t have the gene, there’s still a 50% chance that he has it. Peter says he’s a top executive, and is concerned about his bosses finding out. Griff says it’s confidential, and no one can divulge the results without his legal permission. Peter says, let’s get started.

Elizabeth tells Sam that she startled her, but she’s glad she’s there. She thanks Sam for saving Franco’s life. Sam says, given what she just learned, she wonders if they should have left him.

Drew says he’s not going anywhere until Franco tells him. Franco says Jim is a liar, and Drew says so is he. He’s clearly hiding something. Franco says he’s been trying to piece it together. They were at the top of the stairs together; then Drew wasn’t there. Drew says Franco pushed him, but Franco’s not sure about that. He doesn’t remember, but what he is sure of, is that Jim was there. Drew was next to him, playing with a dragon he always carried around. Franco wanted him to go downstairs, but Drew wanted Franco to go with him. Then he was at the bottom. It’s fuzzy, but what knows for sure is that it didn’t go down the way Jim said. Drew says, he believes him.

Sonny asks Ava where Avery is, and Ava says she was so tired, she couldn’t keep her eyes open, so she tucked her in. He says it’s the agreed-on time, but she says Avery had other plans. He says he’ll bundle her up and carry her to the car. Ava asks him to let her stay, and she’ll bring her over in the morning. Would it be so terrible, since she’s already asleep? Sonny says that’s because Ava put her down, and Ava says they had a wonderful time. Avery is taken with art. Maybe she’ll turn out like her mom.

Kiki stops by David’s office. She wanted to take out a pharmacology book, but he’d already swiped it. He tells her that he was brushing up, and the book is on his shelf. She picks it up, and remarks that he has a first edition of Gray’s Anatomy. He says it’s the first US edition, so it’s not as prized. Collecting old books is a hobby. She thanks him. He says pharmacology class is rough, and asks how she’s holding up. She says she’s keeping her head above water – barely. He says he has some time, and can help her study.

Jason visits Carly, who is glad he’s okay. He says he’s fine, but she tells him that he says that even when he’s been shot; she needed to make sure. He notices she’s been crying, and she says things are tough with Mike; he keeps forgetting Morgan is dead. He’s losing his memory faster than they thought. Sonny understands, but he’s fighting it. Jason says it’s easier to be angry than sad. She says it breaks her heart; she can see in Mike’s face. He knows, and it’s killing Sonny. Jason tells her that she can get Sonny through this; she’s strong enough to get through anything. She tells him to keep reminding her. She needs a distraction, and asks what happened to him during the earthquake.

Franco is astonished that Drew believes him, but Drew says that doesn’t mean he trusts him. He just trusts Jim less. Franco says Drew is more rational than he thought he was capable of being. Drew asks why Franco thinks Jim is lying. Franco says when Jim first came to town, he told him Drew died, but Betsy only told him that after he’d confronted her about his imaginary friend. Which means Jim is in contact with his mother.

Elizabeth asks why Sam is so angry. Sam says she’s only saying this because if she was in Elizabeth’s position, she would want to be told. Jim told Drew the truth about why he was sent to an orphanage. Franco tried to kill him when they were children.

Anna sees Griff, and they talk about the earthquake. She says she was lucky with her home, and was in Brussels with Andre when it happened. He asks if she’s still obsessed with tracking down Faison’s son. She says he could have been an ally or a pawn. Griff thinks she’s not telling him something, and she says there’s more to the story.

Peter meets Valentin at the MetroCourt. Valentin trusts he’s fine, and Peter says he’s perfectly healthy for now. He just scheduled the test, and Valentin says he made the right call. He doesn’t want to second guess himself every time his mind wanders, or he loses his balance. Peter says attack the problem; no second guessing. He only has half of his medical history, since his mother is a blank. He wonders if she ever thinks about him. You’d think he’d come to mind, but on the other hand, she turned him over to his father without a backward glance. Well, he doesn’t really know that.

Jason tells Carly that he was at the Quartermaine’s, so it wasn’t so bad. Carly says she was stuck in the gallery with Nelle. She tells him about Nelle giving Josslyn the dress as a gift, and how it was really stolen from Crimson. She’s using Josslyn to get to Michael, and she wanted to tell her to her face. Jason says Michael told him about her helping Nelle, but Carly says she still despises her. He knows what she means. He and Sam saved Franco’s life, but that doesn’t mean he hates Franco any less.

Elizabeth tells Sam it must be a mistake, but Sam says Franco resented Drew, and pushed him down the stairs. It makes sense that Betsy put Drew in an orphanage. She wanted to protect him from Franco. He insisted he didn’t remember, but he lied. Elizabeth says the Franco she knows would have told her. Sam says instead of going to his own wedding, he went to Jim and told him to keep his mouth shut. He can’t be honest. Elizabeth tells Sam that she has no room to talk about honesty.

Franco tells Drew that the only person who can confirm or deny it is his mom, and she was gone before Christmas. Drew says it takes money and resources to disappear like that, and Franco says like the money and resources of a real estate mogul. He thinks Jim paid his mom to disappear. Drew says they can use him to find her. Franco asks if he just said “we?”

Sonny tells Ava the sleepover was the price for her dropping the charges against his father. She asks how Mike is doing, but she’s the last person he wants to discuss his father with. She says he is her daughter’s grandfather, and Sonny says he’s fine. He’s getting treatment, and will be staying in Port Charles. He can spend time with Avery, which is more than he can say for her. Ava says she’s Avery’s mother, and he asks if they’re going down that road. His son Morgan is dead because of her. She might want to forget, but he’s not going to. He goes into the bedroom to get Avery.

David goes over some things with Kiki, but she says there are too many terms; it’s not sticking. He tells her that she needs to relax; step away for an hour and have another try. She thinks she might never be calm and collected again. David says that’s where he comes in, and asks her if she’d like to go get a bite or a drink.

Jason tells Carly about Franco being pinned under the cabinet. He was going to leave, and if he had, Franco would be dead. The wall collapsed, and the trailer fell in and exploded, but he was long gone. Carly can see Jason saving almost anyone, but Franco. Jason says Sam talked him into it. Carly says, so Sam was there, and smiles.

Sam tells Elizabeth that she’s told her fair share of lies, and has her share of secrets, but it doesn’t compare to what Franco has done. Elizabeth says he had a brain tumor. Sam asks in her experience as a nurse if that’s how tumors work, or is it an excuse? What if that has nothing to do with who he really is? Elizabeth says she knows him; he’s a better man. Sam tells her that no one lies more than Elizabeth has to herself, and Elizabeth walks away.

Drew wants to make it clear, Franco is the last person on earth he wants to work with, but he has no choice. Franco says Drew has to admit, he’s more fun than Jason. Drew says no one more to lose than they do, and he can trust Franco will serve his own self-interest. Reluctantly, he’ll work with him to find out what happened when they were kids. If Jim is right, and he was a little psychopath, Drew will personally make sure he never sees Elizabeth again or comes near her family. Do they have a deal?

Anna tells Griff that her search is relevant to his specialty. Faison was suffering from a genetic disease; any child of his could inherit the defective gene. Felicia explained it to Maxie, and Obrecht told her that Britt’s test was negative. She’s trying to find Henrik and tell him. Griff doesn’t think she should, but she says it could affect his future decisions. Griff says it’s compassionate and admirable, and asks what he could have inherited. She says, Huntington’s disease.

Peter wonders if Faison thought his mother could be paid off, since he paid to sleep with her in the first place. She went on her merry way, and he grew up with a psycho. Valentin thinks he should put it in the past where it belongs. No matter what the results, he’ll work through it and Valentin will have his back, like always. Nothing has changed that.

David tells Kiki that he heard Charlie’s is up and running, and she deserves downtime. She says she doesn’t have time; she’ll have to clear her mind with a podcast in the car. He says he has something for her, and picks up the copy of Gray’s Anatomy. She tells him she can’t accept it, but he says he never gave her a gift for her acceptance to medical school. He writes something in it, and tells her now it’s inscribed; it’s too late to refuse. She reads, to Kiki, who knows more than she thinks she knows. Oddly enough, she doesn’t know what to say. He tells her to go with thank you, and she does. I’m not sure if he’s hitting on her or not, but she could do a lot worse.

Sonny brings out Avery, telling her daddy is taking her home and mama Carly misses her. Bleh. He’s annoying me. Ava is no saint, but he’s being way too mean. Ava says she heard how he rescued Nelle and Carly, and calls him heroic. She adds that the lock was expensive, and she’ll send him a bill. He tells Avery that daddy can fix anything, and tells Ava to do what she has to do.

Jason tells Carly how Sam convinced him, and they worked together get Franco free. They were still there when the aftershock happened, and they were hanging over the edge. It was close, and they barely got out before the trailer exploded. Carly asks if Sam said she loved him, and he asks why she would. Carly says, why wouldn’t she? He saved her life. There’s no better time to admit it. He says she did, and Carly says, well? He admits he told Sam that he loves her too. Carly asks him to tell her the words she wants to hear, and Jason says she was right. She says she’s so happy for them, but he says just because they said it, doesn’t mean they’ll be together. She says, who cares? They can figure the rest out later.

Sam remembers Jason telling her that no matter what, they know they love each other, and if that’s all it is, it’s enough. She gets in the elevator.

Franco says, deal. They’ll work together to find out the truth. He holds out his hand, but Drew doesn’t shake it. He tells Drew to understand one thing. He’d never hurt Elizabeth or her kids. Drew says the issue here is Jim, and Franco calls Jim a liar who lies. He’s not telling everything he knows, and they need a plan. Drew says he’s working on something. Franco asks if Drew wants to tell him, and Drew says he’ll be in touch. Franco says so this is their working relationship; Drew does stuff, and Franco waits by the phone.

Elizabeth comes to the art therapy room, and says Sam told her about Franco’s conversation with Jim.

Tomorrow, Josslyn asks if Michael is there to see Nelle, Elizabeth asks Franco if he tried to kill Drew, and Nelle wonders if something tragic can turn to something wonderful.

Vanderpump Rules

Ariana dreads going to laser hair removal. Tom asks if it smells like burning hair, and she says only if you don’t shave close enough. Great question, but I don’t want to know. They talk about how awesome Vegas was. Tom is happy, since he actually did something more productive than just drinking. He thinks he might have annoyed Ken and Lisa a little, but can’t help his enthusiasm. He hopes they don’t think he’s overstepping.

James puts his jacket on, since his dad is coming to see him DJ. It’s his first visit since the divorce, and James is happy to see him. His dad managed George Michael, and was also a DJ. It was a musical environment growing up, so James wants to make him proud. He asks what James is drinking, and Raquel reminds him that he’s not drinking anything tonight. He says his dad doesn’t understand about him getting crazy when he drinks, and doesn’t get why he’s not drinking while he works. Lisa arrives at SUR, and says hello to James’s dad. She knew him back in the day, but Ken was more his friend.

Brittany, Lala, and Scheana set up for Jax’s birthday at the Hooters where Brittany used to work. Brittany knows everyone wonders why she’s throwing Jax a party, but her mom said if she’s going to continue with the relationship, she has to leave the past in the past. In her interview, Stassi says when she found out Jax had cheated on her, she threw all of his sh*t out, moved out of the apartment, and drank all of his Cristal. She’s not getting why Brittany is throwing him a massive party. Jax says there’s nothing better than turning 38 and going to Hooters. It appeals to his inner child. Inner?

Scheana asks to talk to Jax. She tells him about Kristen repeating that Rob said he loves her, but isn’t in love with her. Jax asks if he’s said it, and she claims he has. He says Rob told him something different then. We flash back to that. She asks if he said he wasn’t in love with her, and Jax says from what he remembers. She says eventually they’re getting married, but maybe it’s slower than she wants. He says that’s what he means. In his interview, he says life isn’t a perfect Instagram story the way Scheana would like it to be.

Everybody chows down on wings and meatballs. Schwartz and Tom give Jax a gift box, and say he has to wear it. It’s a romper. They’ve gotten rompers for themselves, so he won’t feel alone. Brittany thinks it looks like he works for UPS, and he unoriginally tells her he has a package to deliver.

Billie and Stassi visit Kristen. Stassi is enjoying getting to know Billie; she’s never known someone with her story. There’s nothing bad she can say about her – at this moment in time. Billie tells them that Ariana’s brother, Jeremy, asked her on a date. Kristen asks if they’re going to a public place, and Billie asks, why? Stassi thinks he’s a little creepy. She was freaked out at Katie’s wedding. He wouldn’t leave her alone, and it gave her a sick feeling. We see a clip, and he seems overly enthusiastic at best. Kristen is hoping he’s not just looking for sex, and Billie asks them not to scare her.

Brittany and Scheana go to brunch. Brittany asks if she and Jax cleared things up. Scheana says they’re cool, and asks how it’s going with them. She thinks they seem happier, but wishes they were as happy as she is. She tells Brittany there are options. In her interview, Brittany wants Jax to be the fun person he can be, not the a-hole personality. He needs to buck up or sit down. Scheana gets a text from bartender Adam. He’s been asking about Brittany. In her interview, Scheana thinks he’d be the perfect guy for Brittany. She wants Brittany away from Jax and around anybody else.

The Toms work at the new restaurant site. Ken and Lisa supervise. Tom questions the logistics of the bar, and Lisa says they’ve built more bars than the two Toms have had hot dinners. She wants something that’s never been seen before. She wants him to check out other places, and their specialty cocktails, and think about a new twist they can put on them. In his interview, Tom says he got a little excited. He’s going to work on the best cocktails anyone has experienced. He suggests something with dry ice.

Billie and Lala visit Scheana. Before she makes drinks, she has some options for Billie to wear on her date. Jeremy and Billie both smoke weed, so she thinks they’ll be perfect for one another. If that’s the only criteria, I can see where Scheana makes her mistakes. I think there needs to be a little more than that. Billie tells them about what Stassi said, and how she and Kristen told her that Jeremy tries to date everyone. Lala says they tend to say things that ultimately affect someone’s life, and she’s not okay with them squashing Billie’s excitement. Billie tries on some outfits, and settles on – a romper.

Lala and Billie go to the bar to have a drink before her date. Lala says first dates give you the jitters and butterflies. Man bunned Jeremy arrives, and Lala jets. Say no to the man bun. Unless you’re Josh from Sweet Home Oklahoma. Billie says she’s nervous because she’s trans. Jeremy says she’s a woman now, and deserves to be acknowledged as one, which is actually the perfect thing to say. She asks why he’s so dope. Oh how I want to make a weed joke here, but it’s too easy.

James meets his dad for a drink at a weird tiny bar. They talk about James’s DJ gig, and James says it’s nice having people looking at him for once. His dad tells him that it’s his heritage; he’s given James his skills. James claims he’ll be on the Grammy stage with Lala one day. In his interview, James says George Michael being his godfather is the reason he’s into music. He says once things with George Michael went south, they lost a lot. He thinks it’s partly the reason his parents broke up. James thanks dad for being supportive, and we see a picture of James wearing headphones when he was three. In his interview, he says his dad is still pursuing music and finding new talent. He gets all weepy, saying he misses him.

Lisa asks Ariana if everything is okay. Ariana says they’re having a girls’ night, and Lisa wonders why she looks stressed. Ariana tells her that Stassi was saying mean things about her brother. Is it me, or does this sound like something someone would say in middle school? In her interview, Ariana finds it annoying that Stassi and Kristen spoke with authority, since they don’t know Jeremy. They don’t have to. The man bun says it all. That, and the clip of him at the wedding. Lisa thinks it’s ironic, since he saved the restaurant from burning down, and Stassi had once threatened to burn it down.

Lisa asks what Jeremy is up to, and thanks him for saving the restaurant. She says lots of people would have walked away. Either I don’t remember, or haven’t been following totally. Did he pull the fire alarm? Throw a blanket on something? Lisa gives him some cash to make his week easier, since he helped hers. Please adopt me, Lisa. I will pull all the fire alarms. Lala and Ariana leave to get dressed. Lala says they’re going to have fun, but also make a statement.

At the restaurant, Brittany is thrilled with her entourage. She says the girls don’t even like each other, but they’re at the same table supporting her. Lala says there’s an elephant in the room, and if she doesn’t address it, no one will. She likes Stassi a lot, but asks her why she told Billie that she hopes her date is in public. Stassi asks what she said (and actually, she didn’t say that; Kristen did). She wasn’t talking about him like he was a murderer, and doesn’t want to hurt anyone. Scheana has to leave. Katie says that numerous women have said Jeremy was creepy and acting predatory at her wedding. In her interview, Ariana says if her eyes could melt skin off Stassi’s face, she would. Ariana claims she was hanging out with him all night at the reception. Katie says she’s just being an advocate for those who can’t advocate for themselves. Ariana is insulted, as though Katie accused her of never being supportive of women. Lala comforts Ariana, who says they’re about to get to a place they won’t come back from, and decides to leave. In her interview, Stassi says Ariana is hypocritical. If Ariana says something about her, it’s a hard truth she needs to hear, but if anyone talks about her brother, it crosses the line. Katie asks if she wasn’t clear about what she was saying, and everyone looks like they have headaches.

At his apartment, Jax messes around on a set of electronic drums. Tom says it’s awesome, and Jax tells him that Brittany gave them to him, and set them up. In his interview, Tom says Jax must be thinking maybe he should cheat on Brittany before his next birthday, and see what he gets then. They jam a little, and Tom says he has to talk to Katie. She said stuff to Billie about Jeremy. We see a clip of Ariana telling Tom that Katie said Jeremy was a creeper at her wedding, and she was advocating for women who couldn’t be there. Tom tells her that’s complete and total bullsh*t.

Stassi and Kristen visit Katie, who has a project for the evening. There all kinds of bottles and jars on the table. Tom knocks on the door, and Schwartz tells him to proceed with caution. The girls are drinking and casting spells. Katie says they’re making perfume. Tom asks what’s up with them talking about Jeremy? He says Jeremy has had to deal with a lot of things, but the girls agree that he’s creepy. Schwartz says they can’t know him from one night. Stassi says she knows how he acts, and why would she make it up? Tom says because it’s convenient, which makes no sense whatsoever. In his interview, Stassi says he wasn’t there when Jeremy was hitting on her. He was busy playing his sh*tty trumpet solo. Stassi says she’s sick of men protecting men, and Tom says that’s not true, and she’d better watch herself; they all better watch themselves. To Katie’s credit, she remains serene, and doesn’t launch herself over the table to grab his throat. As I would have done, telling him that he’s the one who’d better watch it. Instead, she asks if he has any business there, other than telling people to watch themselves in her home. He tells her that she’d better get her effing facts straight. In his interview, Schwartz says he can see where Tom is coming from; these are serious accusations. On the other hand, Tom can’t be yelling at his wife. Tom says if they make up lies, he’ll start telling truths. Okay. Like everything isn’t on film.

Brittany’s dad calls. They’re making blackberry cobbler in Kentucky. In her interview, she says she hasn’t told her dad. He’s scary to talk to about things like that, and not as forgiving as her mother. She tells him something bad happened. She’s scared to tell him, and asks him not to be mad. Her dad tells her not to leave him dangling, and she says she found out Jax cheated on her with someone she knew. Her dad says it doesn’t surprise him. That’s his type; he has no control. Brittany tells him that’s exactly what he said when they were in Kentucky. We flash back to the Kentucky visit, when Brittany’s dad told her that he wasn’t 100% on board with Jax. She tells him that’s why she hasn’t talked to him on the phone. He says when it comes to hurting his kids, he takes it personally. Brittany says Jax is almost forty, and her dad says once someone gets to that age, he’s not sure they can grow up. She says that’s what worries her. She doesn’t know if it’s possible for him to change. Her dad tells her Prince Charming might still be out there.

Jax comes in, saying he heard fragments of her conversation. Brittany tells him her dad wasn’t surprised; he has no self-control. She’s worried her memaw will find out. In his interview, Jax says he’s not saying Brittany shouldn’t talk to anyone, but he doesn’t like her airing their dirty laundry. Here’s a hint: don’t cheat then. Brittany says he has to promise never to do it again. He says of course, immediately followed by telling her that she’s not perfect either. She says don’t turn it around, and he says there’s a reason she was called Brattany when she was a kid. I’m not sure I can take much more without flying to LA and hunting him down. In her interview, Brittany says her imperfections are things like not taking the dog out, or having too many tequila shots, not screwing one of Jax’s friends. She tells him she knows it’s hard, and he tells her if she’s not happy, maybe she should move on. Another hint: if he says something like that, go. And any guy who tells you he’s not good enough for you, probably isn’t.

Lala, Scheana, and Billie meet at a restaurant. Scheana wants Brittany to know there are other hot guys out there, and she doesn’t need Jax. In her interview, Scheana says she’s known Jax for a long time, and he’s not a tortured soul who needs a good woman to take care of him. He’s a super sh*t who does sh*tty things, and doesn’t deserve to be in a relationship with Brittany. Jeremy and Billie join them, along with Adam. They order shots. Adam is definitely into Brittany. In her interview, Brittany says Jax is really jealous. It kills him if he thinks she’s flirting or if someone flirts with her. She says if he saw this, he would crap his pants. Lala brings up what Stassi said about Jeremy, and says she doesn’t think he’s out to get people. In her interview Ariana says she’s never known Stassi not being out to get people, and now Jeremy is her victim. Jeremy says imagine how you would feel, and thanks them for sticking up for him. Scheana says it’s his SUR initiation.

Scheana pulls Brittany aside, telling her that she deserves the world. Jax hasn’t given it to her, and never will. Brittany says she loves him, and can’t just throw it away. She wishes she had answers. In her interview, she says no one sees the good in Jax. Obviously, he doesn’t always deserve the best, but she wants to stay with him because she’s still madly in love with him. This makes me just want to cry. Scheana asks if Brittany wants to be her. Divorced, no kids, no progress, thirty-two and starting over. In her interview, Scheana says she knows what it’s like to lie to yourself every day, saying everything is fine, and it will work out. She doesn’t want Brittany doing the same thing. Brittany says her brain and heart fight all the time. Scheana tells her that she’s better than that, and deserves better.

Next time, Lisa tries to talk sense into Brittany, the group goes to Mexico, and Lala calls Jax out during dinner.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Maxie doesn’t know what she was thinking, bringing Peter along. He has other things to do, like run a company. Peter says he volunteered. The company will be fine. He wonders if she’s changed her mind, but she says she hasn’t. She asks him not to tell Nina; she might freak out.

Meanwhile, Nina is already in Kim’s office. She has a question about pregnancy.

Maxie tells Peter if Faison had a 50% chance of having the disease, and so did Nathan, that brings her baby’s chances down to 25%, which is practically nothing. Peter says she has to deal with the facts. She tells him that’s easy for him to say, when he doesn’t have to worry about it. Jason is wandering around, and Maxie says she never got a chance to introduce them. So was Henrik wearing a mask the whole time at the clinic?

Mike says that Sonny wanted him to come for a visit, so he came for visit. That’s all. He’s not moving in.

Franco and Elizabeth kiss. He’s glad she’s okay. She thinks it’s weird that Jason and Sam were the ones who rescued him. He says irony aside, he’s glad they didn’t get hurt. Elizabeth can’t wait to hear the whole story. She tells him that he should check on his dad. He was pretty out of it, but did manage to say he was sorry Franco’s secret kept him from their wedding day.

Sam tells Drew they have to talk when they get home, but he says they should talk now. Jim comes out of the elevator, and says he’s glad he caught Drew. He hopes he’s not interrupting anything important, but Drew says it’s not a good time. Sam tells him that they need to get home. Drew tells Jim that his wife almost died at his Charles Street site. Jim wonders what she was doing there, and Sam says saving someone trapped in the trailer. Jim asks, who? and Drew says, Franco.

Franco tells Elizabeth not to take stock in anything Scotty has to say. She says Scotty told her that Franco loved her, and felt awful that his secret kept him away. She’s just glad he’s okay. He says if he hadn’t gotten sidetracked by the earthquake, he would have been there on time. She says clearly something is eating him up, and don’t pretend. He asks if it would be okay if he didn’t tell her. She asks if they’ll be okay if he doesn’t.

Nina tells Kim that she was pregnant in her early 20s. Kim says she read Nina’s history of complications. Nina says that’s a nice way of saying she was in a coma, and the baby didn’t make it. She was told she could never get pregnant again. Kim says she’s sorry, but Nina says she moved on and came to terms with it. She’s now a stepmother to an amazing girl; life has a way of working out, and she’s very lucky. Her sister-in-law just lost her husband, Nina’s brother Nathan, and he’ll never see his baby. Kim is sorry for their loss. Nina says she’s heard great things about Kim, and maybe she can look at her case with fresh eyes. There have been advances in reproductive medicine, and she’s wondering if there’s any chance she could get pregnant again.

Peter says he was in the room when Jason broached the subject of Nathan’s interview to Lulu. Maxie wonders how that happened, since he doesn’t work there. He’s usually oblivious of the media, unless he’s hiding from it. Jason says he was hoping to draw out Faison’s son, Henrik.

Mike says he always loved Port Charles. Sonny has done well, but it’s too big for his taste. Brooklyn is more his style. He’s at home there; it’s where he belongs. He has to go back. He’ll say his goodbyes now, and get a head start in the morning. Sonny tells him to hold on. He’s starting to think Mike has a problem with him. Mike says, no, and Sonny asks why he’s in such a hurry then. Why is he so anxious? Mike asks why Sonny is anxious for him to stay. He tells Sonny to say it. He doesn’t think Mike can hack it on his own.

Nina was wondering if there have been any recent breakthroughs, but Kim says she’s not aware of any that would help Nina’s situation. She wishes there was something she could do, and Nina says it was worth a shot. She’s still lucky; she has an incredible family. They could have used some good news. Kim asks if she’s getting enough rest. Nina says she’s just going through the motions, and doesn’t know what’s real. She’s trying to keep it together for her family.

Maxie asks Jason what he’s going to do to Henrik, and Jason says first he has to find him. She says he has Spinelli, and they’ll track him down, but then what? Jason says he’s going to ask why Henrik kept him live, and why he was kept prisoner at the clinic for five years. Maxie wonders if he’s going to ask if Henrik was in on Faison’s kidnapping plan. Jason says he talked to Faison, and he seemed angry that Henrik didn’t kill him. She says he may have been lying, and Jason says, anything is possible. Maxie says if Henrik wasn’t in on the plan, he didn’t do anything to hurt her, and it wouldn’t be fair to hurt him. But if he was helping Faison, she wants to make him pay.

Mike says Sonny thinks he’ll make a mess of things if he’s on his own. He gets respect in his neighborhood, and he has responsibilities. Sonny says he talked to Caruso, and all that ended after the last mix-up. Carly says she’d welcome a chance to spend more time with him. He says she’s the one who told his girlfriend to ditch him. Carly says she’s sorry if she spoke out of turn, but don’t let her mistake ruin anything; his family is here. He says he’ll visit more often. Sonny tells Mike that he’s not himself. He doesn’t want him cooking dinner, and burning down the apartment. Mike says, why? It will get his deadbeat dad out of his life for good.

Elizabeth tells Franco that they talked about secrets. If they get married, they have to trust each other, whatever they’re dealing with. Franco says at some point, his past will be too much, but she says that hasn’t happened yet. He doesn’t know how she does that; it turns his stomach. She says whatever he tells her, she can roll with it. She knows his struggles. She doesn’t always agree with his methods of dealing with things, but she’s seen him confront his demons and put them behind him. She loves him, and continues to believe in their love. Franco flashes back to Jim saying that one day Elizabeth will lose faith. Franco says he does believe. That’s why he came to the church where she was waiting. She says, where she knew he’d show. They agree not to let the past get in the way, and embrace.

Jim tells Sam he must have just missed them. Sam says, he was there? Jim says he and Franco were both thrown, and when his head cleared, he ran to call for help. By the time he came back, they were gone. Jim is impressed that Sam saved Franco, and she tells him that Jason was with her. She wonders why Franco was there instead of at his wedding. Jim says there’s something they need to know about Franco.

Sonny asks, if he wants to get rid of Mike, why is he trying so hard to get him to stay? Mike says they’ll be telling him what to do, and track his every move. They’ll lock the door and throw away the key. It’s revenge, plain and simple. Sonny wants to him get back because he left Sonny’s mom. Sonny says, wrong. Does Mike think he wants to see his dad deteriorate little by little? Mike says nobody is asking him to be a hero. Just let him go.

Kim tells Nina there are advances all the time. She can always hope. Nina says she’s trying to find balance with hope and self-indulgence. She has a stepdaughter to fill the emptiness in her heart, and she needs to focus on her upcoming niece or nephew instead of a pipe dream. Kim tells her not to hesitate to reach out. Nina leaves the office, and sees Maxie and Peter.

Franco busts into Scotty’s room, startling him. He asks why Scotty is so jumpy, and Scotty says he thought it was Epiphany. He complained about the chipped beef, and she threatened to take his button away. Franco wants to know why Scotty sabotaged his future with Elizabeth.

Elizabeth sees Jason. He asks if Jake is okay, and she says the boys thought the earthquake was epic. He guesses it depends on your perspective. She says they were with Bobbie, and it was fine where she lives. He says he was at the Quartermaine’s. A few things got broken, and that was the worst of it. She tells him the boys have off from school. She would tell him to stop by, but doesn’t think Jake is ready. Jason understands; He just wanted to make sure Jake was okay. Elizabeth thanks him for the both of them for saving Franco. He says, honestly, if it had been up to him, he would have left him there.

Drew tells Jim to talk. He says Franco came to him, hyped up. He said he remembered something, and wanted Jim to confirm what he did to Drew. Betsy gave him away because of Franco. He pushed Drew down a flight of stairs, then laughed. A kid young as he was, tried to kill him. Please don’t tell me they believe anything this jerk has to say.

Mike tells Sonny, let’s make it easy. He’ll go home, they go back to their lives, and pretend this never happened. Sonny says until he gets a call about Mike walking down Neptune Avenue in a bathrobe. Mike says, who cares? It’s by the beach. He says Sonny is worried he’ll embarrass him. What else is new? He’s always been embarrassed by Mike. Carly tells Sonny to back off. She tells Mike that they would love for him to stay, but can’t stop him from going. Sonny says unless a judge says he’s not competent. Carly says they’re not doing anything. He’s welcome there any time. Sonny says he’ll make sure his people look after Mike, and Mike says now Sonny is palming him off on strangers. He tells Sonny not to hire anyone. He’ll get along fine with Tammy’s help. Carly asks if that’s a friend of his, and he says that’s his girlfriend, Tammy Hanson. Carly says she moved away a long time ago. Mike says they live together. He thinks about it, and says not Tammy; it’s Mary. Sonny says, it’s Rita.

Nina says Maxie didn’t have an appointment today. Maxie says she wasn’t expecting to see her. Kim tells Maxie and Peter that she’ll be right back, and to on in. Nina follows them, and tells Maxie that she thought they’d synced their calendars. Maxie says they did, but it was last minute. She just needed a test done, and she ran into Peter, who insisted on coming so she wasn’t alone. Nina asks what test, and Maxie says an amniocentesis. Nina asks if the baby is okay, and Maxie says that’s what they’re there to find out.

Drew says, so Franco tried to kill him when they were kids, around two or three years old, and Jim says he saw it. He happened to be watching them. Betsy went to the market, and he turned his back for half a second. When Betsy came home, she was horrified, and made up a cover story. The incident made her realize that she couldn’t keep both of them. What if Franco hurt him again? So, she decided to give him away. She knew he’d be okay on his own, but Franco was a detriment to himself and others, and she’d keep trying to fix him. Sam asks why he didn’t say anything before, and he says he felt guilty. If he’d kept a better eye on them, it wouldn’t have happened. He’d thought Franco had forgotten, but when he remembered, Jim knew he hadn’t changed a bit.

Franco knew Scotty would never play the role of a doting father. Scotty says a stab in the back is better than a severed artery. He was bleeding out at the church. Franco says, then you call 911, not blab private business. Scotty says he was in shock. Franco says Scotty doesn’t get to speak for him unless he’s on retainer. Scotty gets it. He’s glad Franco is alive, and Franco says he’s glad Scotty is too. Scotty asks where he was.

Jason tells Elizabeth that Sam was at the Quartermaine’s and wanted to check on Drew. They found Mike, who said someone was trapped. Sam took him while Jason went to search. Elizabeth tells him that Sam left Mike with her at All Saints, and to thank her. She’s glad Sam made it back. He says she found him, along with Franco pinned under a cabinet. He was going to leave him, but Sam wouldn’t let him. She’s the one who saved Franco’s life.

Nina tells Maxie that she could believe Faison had a brain disease, but Nathan? Maxie says there was a 50% chance Nathan would have it, and he’d want her to check the baby. Nina asks why Maxie didn’t tell her, and Maxie says she didn’t want to worry her. Nina says it’s her job to worry, and Maxie’s job to carry the baby to full term. They’re in this together.

Mike asks what happened to Rita, and Carly tells him that she said she wanted to be by herself. She says she thought she told him, and he says he would remember. She tells him it must have slipped her mind. Rita cares about him, but wants to be by herself. Mike says, who could blame her? She’s a nice lady, and they had a good run. She didn’t sign up for what’s happening to him. Sonny says he’s sorry, and Carly has an idea. Since things aren’t working out with Rita, why doesn’t he stay longer with them? He’s already a big help around the house. He says it’s not his place; it’s his son’s and Sonny might not like it. Carly tells him not to be silly. The thing about families is that stuff comes up, then it gets better.

Scotty says, Jim was there when Drew took a header? Franco says when he confronted Jim, he said he was supposed to be watching things. It got quiet, and he checked on them. He saw them on the stairs, and Franco pushed Drew. He was smiling when he did it. Scotty says it doesn’t add up. Franco says there’s something Jim isn’t saying. He knows Franco knows something. That’s why he left him in the trailer. Scotty says Jim didn’t want him to make it. He would have been a goner if Sam and Jason hadn’t shown up.

Elizabeth tells Jason if they hadn’t saved Franco, she and Jake would be grieving for someone they love. Jason says that’s what Sam said; it wasn’t worth her or Jake’s grief.  He says he can’t change what Franco did, so he’ll have to try and accept it, and move on. Elizabeth says he can do more than that. He can consider the possibility of redemption.

Jim says he told Franco that he remembered change came over him, and Franco threatened him. He told him not to breathe word about it, especially to Drew. Drew says, or what? Jim says he didn’t ask; Franco’s eyes said it all. He remembered that look from when Franco was a kid. At that moment, he realized Franco hadn’t changed. Now he’s marrying that nice woman with the beautiful kids. He tracked Drew down, since he’ll know what to do. Jim leaves, and I get the feeling Drew isn’t completely buying this. I hope not. Jimbo was being a tad dramatic too.

Drew tells Sam if it’s true, than something needs to happen. He’s going to take care of this. He walks away, and Sam calls after him, asking what he’s going to do.

Kim says she’s ready, and Maxie says Nina is staying. Nina walks Peter out, and he says he hopes he didn’t overstep. She says she’s sure his intentions were pure, but he is Maxie’s boss. In this age of enlightenment, it’s best he keeps it professional. He says of course. He sees Nurse Deanna, and asks if she knows of a doctor who can give him a full genetic workup.

Franco tells Scotty he can’t worry about Jason. He’s going to hate him forever. Sam wouldn’t let Jason kill him, so he considers it a win. He needs to focus on Elizabeth, and set a new date. Scotty thinks they should do everyone a favor and elope. Franco says first, he has to figure out this things with Jim. Scotty says don’t tell Elizabeth, but are the rings insured?

Mike supposes he can try living there for a bit, and see how works out. Carly says, great. Michael and Dante will be happy. Mike says he’s tired, and asks Sonny to tell Caruso he’s been delayed, and might not make the drop-off on the dot. Sonny says he’ll tell him, and Mike says, but he’ll be there. He goes upstairs. Sonny looks even more tired than Mike.

Drew finds Franco. He wonders if Franco is the man who saved his life, or the guy who tried to kill him.

Elizabeth tells Jason that Franco wasn’t in control, but he’s still sorry. Every day he tries to be better and make amends. Jason says he found Michael in his prison cell, raped by a man that Franco sent. He watched as Franco carried out a naked Sam, and made them think he had raped her. He can’t consider the possibility. He let him live, and hopes he gets what he deserves. Elizabeth leaves, and Sam asks if everything is okay. Jason says everything is the same. Elizabeth sees Franco one way, and he sees Franco another. Sam asks if it wasn’t enough that they saved his life. Jason says he told her the truth; he was going to leave him there, and she wouldn’t let him. Sam says don’t make her sound so noble. She didn’t want to keep the secret. In the end, it’s not worth it. Sam says she still hasn’t told Drew that she loves him. Elizabeth hears.

On Monday, Mike has to make decisions, Ava hopes to get a more permanent arrangement with Avery, and Drew tells Franco that he’s going to stop hiding things.

🙆 Tabatha & My Digression of the Week

I’m loving Relative Success with Tabatha. She’s one of those people like Gordon Ramsay, with a hard exterior, but extremely caring on the inside, who can wear as many hats as you can stack on their heads. I love a business improvement show, and so far, Tabatha has perfected a jewelry business, a gym, a deli, a pizzeria, a design team, and a restaurant. The twist here being that every business is family owned and run, I’m amazed at how diplomatic Tabatha is, although at least once she’s had to remove herself from the room before saying something she’d regret.

While I’ve never had first-hand experience being part of a family business, I can tell you this much – you do not want to work for one. My post high school job before moving to NYC, was working for an Army/Navy store that was family run, and they all worked there in some capacity. The main owner, and patriarch, was a great guy, but he was hardly ever around, mostly working in another branch of the store. His oldest son and daughter-in-law, however, were always around, and always fighting. Showdown in aisle 13! They weren’t shy about sharing every detail, and you didn’t even have to ask. It did have its perks though. We got massive discounts, and they had very cool stuff. I still have some of the clothes I bought there. I also went out with the owner’s younger son once. Only once not because we didn’t click, but we both moved. Although the date did have a couple of awkward moments. We went to see The Man Who Fell to Earth at the arthouse cinema, and he forgot his wallet. We went back to his house to get it, and of course I had to go to the bathroom. And of course his father came home in the meantime. After I was living in the city, and my absent-minded date was in pilot school in Florida we wrote back and forth a bit. In one of the letters he sent, he told me about a subway token he’d found on the beach there. He was including it, since I could use it more than he could, but there was no token in the envelope. A day later, I got a note from him, along with the token, saying, does this remind you of another time?

Next time on Tabatha, a real estate office. She also gives me my first favorite quote of the week.

This family is f**king crazy. Tabatha Coffey

March 8, 2018 – Anna Gets Surprising News, a Winning Chef, Tardiness & a Little Spice

Standard

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

At the hotel, Maxie runs into Peter putting his room tray out. She tells him she locked herself out of her room, and is going to have to go to the lobby in her PJs for a new card. He insists she use his phone.

At a restaurant in Belgium, Andre tells Anna it doesn’t look like Port Charles will be rebuilding for a while. At least her loved ones are all right. Anna says Felicia and Griff texted. He asks about Finn, and she says she didn’t hear from him, but Griff said he was working in the ER all night. Andre says she must be glad he’s safe. She changes the subject, saying she’s grateful for Andre’s help in tracking down the midwife. He says being a medical professional has its perks. A woman approaches the table, and says she’s Michaela, the midwife. How old was she when she delivered Anna’s baby? Ten?

Sonny tells Carly that everyone is accounted for. Carly can’t believe Josslyn is okay, and Michael is supposed to be released this morning.

Nell looks at Michael’s picture on her phone. Monica asks how she’s feeling, and Nelle says shaken up, but all right. Luckily, Carly was with her, and she’s not being facetious. Carly did a good job calming her down. Monica says Michael has been released, and should be there any minute.

Jason asks how Michael’s head is, and Michael says he’s gotten the all clear. He asks what happened to Jason, and Jason says, a lot. He just dropped Sam off to check on Drew.

Sam asks how Drew is feeling, and he says fine, now that she’s here. He’s fine and the kids are fine; what about her? She says she made it through without a scratch, but she did go to look for him. He can’t believe she went alone. She says she wasn’t. She was with Jason.

Anna says it must be a mistake. The midwife who delivered her baby would be seventy at least. Thank you. Michaela says she must be looking for her mother; they’re both midwives. Anna asks if they can contact her, but Michaela says she died last year. Anna and Andrew give their condolences. Andre asks if she kept any records. Anna says she wasn’t in the position to take care of a child, and Michaela’s mother arranged an anonymous adoption. Michaela says that’s often how it works now. Anna says it’s vital she find the family. It’s possible her child inherited a genetic illness that manifests between the ages of thirty and fifty. Can Michaela help?

Maxie looks around Peter’s room, and says she thought there was no damage from the earthquake. He tells her that his clothes just blew out of the drawers; obviously, he’s not a neat freak. Maxie says neither was Nathan. Peter says maybe it’s a guy thing, but Maxie thinks maybe it’s a slob thing. He asks when she checked in, and she tells him a few nights ago. She can’t stay in the apartment without Nathan.

Carly tells Sonny that she gets why Michael is checking on Nelle, but doesn’t want him to send the wrong message. Sonny says she seemed nice to Nelle when he found them, but she says Nelle was scared when she thought the baby was in trouble. It’s nice to know she’s concerned about her child, but it doesn’t change anything; she’s seen Nelle’s true colors. She tells Sonny that Mike got lost again, making it twice in a matter of days. They have to deal with his father’s Alzheimer’s. They have to make a plan.

Jason tells Michael about the trailer collapsing. Michael asks what they did, and Jason says they found a way out. Michael wonders if it was as simple as that, and Jason remembers Sam telling him that she still loves him.

Sam tells Drew that Jason was at the Quartermaines. The roads were closed, and she asked for a ride on his bike. When she saw The Floating Rib was destroyed, she was scared when she couldn’t find him. He tells her he was trapped under a freezer door. She asks how that’s possible. He explains that they couldn’t find Oscar and Josslyn, and discovered they’d wandered off to be alone. By the time he and Kim found them, the earthquake had jammed the door, and they both had hypothermia. Josslyn recovered quickly, but not Oscar. When the aftershock hit, he was knocked unconscious and pinned under the freezer door. She asks how he got out, and he says, Franco and Dante. She didn’t think there was such a thing as karma, but Franco wouldn’t have been there if she and Jason hadn’t saved him.

Maxie knows should be handling it better. She’s a grown woman and a mother. Peter thinks she’s doing great. He saw what it was like going back to the apartment, and it’s beyond him how she even spent the night there. She says she slept on couch, and when that didn’t help, she cleared out Nathan’s stuff. She thought that would make it easier, but just made the rooms look emptier. She tells Peter it’s like the baby has a sixth sense. Whenever she’s in a downward spiral about Nathan, it gives her a kick. She was thinking about how unfair it is. The baby is carrying Faison’s genes, and Nathan would help her decide what to do. Does she really want to know if the baby is predestined to be sick when it’s older? All of the life-changing impossible decisions have to be made alone, and she doesn’t know what to do.

Michaela says her mother was known for extending her services, and Anna says she was kind. She didn’t push her when she didn’t want to hold the baby, and promised to find a good home. Andre asks if she knows any way to find out anything. Michaela tells him that because of the nature of her practice, she was afraid of discovery. It would have been indiscreet to keep records. She’s sorry, but she can’t help

Sonny asks Carly to wait a second, but she says it can’t wait. Mike was arrested. Sonny says it worked out. She says he was alone in middle of a natural disaster; this can’t go on. Sonny says it’s not his turf or home. He needs to get back to Brooklyn. Carly says he should stay there with them.

Nelle tells Monica that maybe Michael was delayed. Monica says he told her that he was stopping by to take Nelle home.

Michael tells Jason that he’s glad they made it, and Nelle and the baby are fine. He can’t change that Nelle is carrying his child, and doesn’t know if he can trust her again, but the thought of something happening to her scared hell out of him. He asks Jason what his take on Nelle is, and Jason says he barely knows her. Michael wants to know his opinion from what he’s seen and heard. He trusts Jason more than anyone.

Sam tells Drew that Franco had barely left the trailer when the aftershock happened. They were literally hanging off a cliff, and had to jump before the trailer exploded. Drew thinks she should be checked out, but she says she’s fine. She asks about him, and he says as long as she’s there, he’s good. It’s the first time he’s ever been grateful to Franco.

Maxie can’t fathom Nathan having anything wrong with him, and Peter says maybe he didn’t have it. She says there’s a 50% chance he didn’t, and could have been totally healthy. Maybe the other son is one who drew the short straw. Wouldn’t it be justice?

Anna says that she and Michaela’s mother formed a friendship. She was sweet and understood things. Maybe she mentioned Anna? She’d called her Tess, as in Tess of the d’Ubervilles. Maybe she knows that name.

Drew tells Sam he could only watch while Kim and Dante did CPR on Oscar. He felt guilty. He missed so much of his son’s life; he wants to make up for lost time. Sam hopes he gets his wish. He says all of his wishes are granted right now. He just needs one more thing – to get out of here. Monica walks in, and says that can be arranged.

Michael tells Jason that Nelle went beyond messed up. It didn’t have to be this way. If she hadn’t made the decisions she did, it would have made all the difference. Jason asks if she could go back, would she change what she did. Michael thinks so. She didn’t have an easy life. He knows his mom has issues with her, but she’s made enough mistakes to understand that people deserve second chances. Jason wonders why she can’t get there with Nelle, but says she has good instincts. If he were Michael, he’d trust them.

Carly tells Sonny that Mike can stay with them. They have plenty of room and can hire professional caregivers, and despite his relationship choices, Griff is a great doctor. Sonny says he’s not moving in. He’s from Brooklyn, and Sonny can put him in his own neighborhood; he’ll do whatever it takes. Carly says Mike is the only family he’s got. Sonny says he’s handling it, but Carly says he’s not. Sonny says the last time he checked, Mike wanted him back with Brenda, and she resented him for that. She says she’s not doing it for Mike; she’s doing it for him.

Nelle’s phone rings. She answers, then says, it’s not possible; it can’t be.

Monica says if Drew promises to take easy, he can go home. He says, in that case, he promises. Monica is thankful he’s okay, and proud of how he looked after Oscar, getting him and Josslyn out of danger. She tells Sam to take care of him, and he says they’re doing a good job taking care of each other.

Jason tells Michael about Hanna Scott, a girlfriend of Sonny’s who turned out to be a Fed. Everyone thought things were fine, but Carly zeroed in on it immediately. Sonny didn’t listen, so Carly trailed her. She ended up getting mugged, and her wedding rings were stolen. She was married to AJ at the time, but Jason replaced them for her. Michael says it makes sense now why she still has them. They remind her of Jason. Jason says she was relentless, and eventually was proven right. Michael asks if Jason thinks he should trust Carly’s instincts, but Jason says, no; he should trust his own, and like Carly, don’t let anyone talk him out of them.

Carly understands that Sonny doesn’t want to watch Mike deteriorate, and become a shell of himself. Sonny doesn’t know if he can do it, but Carly says he can, and she’ll be next to him. He can change his mind in six months, but there will be less of Mike to spend time with. She suggests he do it now, while he still can. Sonny say he’s scared. Carly says she knows, but not to let fear trick him into pushing Mike away. It’s going to hurt no matter what, but he has the opportunity to come away with something positive. He can make peace while Mike is still himself. She wants that for both of them, and knows he wants it too.

Mike comes downstairs, and asks if the phones are working. He called Rita, but she said she’d moved back in with her sister. He must have heard wrong. Sonny looks at Carly.

Peter tells Maxie that he did some research, and she can have the test between the 16h and 18th week of pregnancy.

Here’s where my dear friend George Stephanopoulos interrupts, so I can be told about the steel and aluminum tariffs. Because it can’t wait twenty minutes. I hunt down the rest of the show online.

Peter says he knows Maxie was worried, and wanted to help. Maxie isn’t sure she wants to know. He asks when she’s due, and she tells him June 17th. He says the timing is perfect. She says the baby is going to be a Gemini. Peter says he is too – his birthday is on June 13th.

Michaela asks Anna what the baby’s date of birth was, and she says June 13th. What a coincidence! Michaela tells Anna that her mother lit a candle every year on that date, and said a prayer for the baby. Anna asks why. Michaela says years later, her mother ran into the family, and they’d had to let the baby go. She questioned them about it, but they deflected, and ran off. She never saw them again. She suffered greatly over it because she felt responsible. Andre says it wasn’t her fault, and it isn’t Anna’s either. Anna is a survivor, and so is her daughter. Michaela says Anna didn’t have a daughter. Her mother had said she had a perfect little son.

Peter asks Maxie if it Isn’t better to know everything and be prepared. She wonders how it’s his business, and he apologizes for overstepping. She says, no, she’s sorry. She lost her edit button when Nathan died, and wasn’t tactful to begin with. He says she’s entitled to her feelings, and she says he’s entitled to his opinion. Peter says they’re colleagues, and she has the right to keep things to herself. Maxie says he was with her when Nathan died, and they’re past being acquaintances. Nathan would want her to get tested. He was concerned to point of being obsessive about the baby’s health, and she told him the baby would be fine. Look how wrong she was. Peter tells her somehow, someday, everything will be fine.

Anna tells Michaela that she was led to believe she had a girl. Maybe someone else gave birth on the same date. Andrew says without documentation, they don’t know anything, and asks Michaela if there’s anything else she can tell them. Anna says there’s a 50% chance of her daughter getting the disease, and she should know. Michaela tells them to wait. She has something that might help. She leaves, and Andrew asks if Anna is sure she had a daughter. Anna says she didn’t ask; she didn’t want to know. Valentin is the one who told her, but what could he possibly gain by lying? Andre says for some reason, he doesn’t want her to find her son.

Carly tells Mike she’s sorry, but he heard right. Rita left him. Mike says they were together five years, and had a great thing going; why leave? Carly says she came there looking for him, and she had to tell her about him being sick. Mike says she had no right, but Sonny says Rita backed her into a corner; she had no choice. Carly says when Rita found out, she made it clear she hadn’t signed on for that. Mike says, for him? Carly says, to see him through an illness like that. Sonny says he’s sorry, and Mike starts to cry. This dude is tearing my heart out every other day. Mike asks what he’s supposed to do now, and Sonny says this is what they’re going to do, and it’s going to be okay.

Nelle dries her tears. Monica comes in, and asks what’s wrong. Nelle tells her the earthquake destroyed her apartment building. She’s homeless.

Michael tells Jason that he’s going to see Nelle; he’s the only person she has. He thinks Jason is right about his mom’s perspective. She’s usually right about people in general, but especially about the two of them. She thinks Jason and Sam belong together. Maybe she’s on to something. Michael moves along, and Jason takes the dog tag out of his pocket and looks at it.

Sam asks if Drew is ready to go home. He says he’s always ready.

Jason wants to leave the dog tag at the nurses’ station for Sam. He says her husband was admitted to the hospital. Drew is suddenly there, and says Jason got lucky. He can give it to her himself. He asks what it is.

Anna tells Andre that she thought she and Valentin had reached truce of some sort. What possible reason would he have to lie? Andre says maybe it’s as simple as him knowing something she doesn’t. Anna hopes Michaela is wrong. She needs to believe her daughter is in good hands; a happy and well-adjusted adult, who didn’t inherit anything from Faison. Andre prays she’s right. Michaela wasn’t exactly forthcoming, and he’s not entirely sure they can trust her.

Michaela returns, saying she wasn’t sure she could trust Anna at first, but her mother did keep records. Perhaps this will help Anna find what she’s looking for. She gives Anna an envelope. She takes Anna’s hand and wishes her good luck. Anna thanks her, and she leaves. Anna opens the envelope. She says it’s her baby. It doesn’t just have the date he was born, but the year and the time. She has a son.

Maxie tells Peter that she’s going to do it. She’s going to have the baby tested. Peter says from the information he got, she should have someone go with her. She asks if that’s to peel her off floor, and he says or help celebrate. He suggests Nina, but Maxie hasn’t told her. Peter asks what about her mom? Maxie says her mom is amazing, but she’ll only make her more nervous. Peter asks her to tell him if he’s overstepping, but he’d be more than happy to go; someone to be there when she takes it in. She says she’d like that.

Anna looks at the baby’s footprints on the paper.

Sonny tells Mike he doesn’t have to go back. He should stay with them, and spend some time with his grandchildren. Carly says soon there will be a great-grandchild. He can share memories and laughs; let them take care of him.

Michael asks Nelle if she’s okay, and she tells him it was a false alarm; he’s the one who was actually hurt. He says he’s fine; his head is still attached. She thanks him for picking her up  and getting her home. He says he can help her clean up, but she says that won’t be necessary. She has no home to go to. She’s surprised he wasn’t notified that the building was destroyed. He says he’s sorry, but she says the story has a happy ending. She’s moving in with the Quartermaines. His grandmother wouldn’t take no for an answer. Monica says she’s invited Nelle to live with them. Nelle hugs Michael.

Sam tells Drew it’s Danny’s dog tag that he ordered for Annabelle II. Jason says in all the craziness, it ended up in his pocket. He’s glad Drew is okay, and Drew says, same to him. Jason leaves, and Drew asks Sam if everything is okay. Sam says when they get home, they need to talk.

Tomorrow, Jason wants to draw out Henrik. Sonny tells Mike he’s not himself, and Franco confronts Scotty.

🔪 Since I had to do some work for my paying job, I missed most of the finale for Top Chef. However, I managed to catch the end, and Last Chance Kitchen Joe won the honors. It just goes to show you, never give up.

⏰ I did catch a late-night mini marathon of Don’t Be Tardy, which I haven’t seen in a while. While I’m not crazy about Kim Zolciak, and her daughters seem dumb as rocks, I do like this show. I love her chef, Tracey, who is a total looney-tune, and the tone isn’t mean-spirited. Not nearly as good as Sweet Home Oklahoma (when’s that show coming back?), but a nice break from housewives, summer houses, and real estate.

SmileyConfusedMA36106495-0001 Elizabeth Hurley was a guest on tonight’s Watch What Happens Live, and seemed to have spilled some spicy tea. Apparently, she’s close friends with Victoria Beckham (who I love), and said that another Spice Girls reunion was a go. Maybe I’m behind, but last I read, it was a no. I have mad love for The Spices, and have seen them twice. Yeah, I know, but I love all genres of music (well, maybe not that experimental John Cage type stuff), and I think they arrived at a time when they were needed. They were the bubblegum of the 90s, and a sigh of relief after the angst of Kurt Cobain’s death. I saw them both times in 2008, during their last reunion tour. Back in the day, I went to a lot of concerts, but like Broadway, ticket prices have skyrocketed. Hell, movies are borderline unaffordable. Thank God there’s a dollar store in the mall, because I’m not taking out a second mortgage to buy a box of M&Ms. But as usual, I digress. I try to choose wisely who picks my entertainment budget pocket, and they didn’t disappoint. I felt like I got my money’s worth. Lots of costume changes, big sets, special f/x, and all the songs. And the girls really are good singers too, despite so many people poking fun at them. I’m sure they cry all the way to the bank. I’ve also enjoyed many of their solo efforts. Geri Halliwell is especially impressive. And dare I say it? IMO, Mel C does a better rendition of Like a Prayer than Madonna.

😩 I’m seriously growing weary of moments, movements, and international anything days.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Things are shaking again in Port Charles. Jason tells Sam not to move.

Ned is at the station on the phone. It’s chaos. He asks for FEMA to get involved; he needs federal assistance. Good luck with that. He says he’s waiting ten minutes, and then he’s calling the White House. Alexis tells him that she hasn’t heard from either of her daughters since the quake.

Molly is brought into the hospital. She was hit by falling debris, and lost consciousness on the way there. Finn calls for a bunch of medical stuff. He tells Julian and TJ to wait outside.

Drew asks if Kim is all right. She’s okay, but Oscar not so much. His breathing is shallow again. Dante yells for Drew, but sees him smushed underneath the freezer door.

Sam looks through a hole in the floor, and tells Jason there’s nothing down there. He says if it shifts again, they could fall. She asks what they’re going to do, and he says he’s working on it.

Franco and Elizabeth go to the hospital. She asks him to check on the boys. Josslyn talks to TJ about Oscar. TJ says Kim is a doctor. He’s sure she’s taking great care of him, and Josslyn says he’ll be okay, and so will Molly. Amy tells TJ that he can come in.

Finn says Molly has a broken rib, but no internal bleeding. TJ is welcome to stay with her; she should be waking up any time now. He sits by the bed and takes her hand. He tells her that she’s going to be all right, but he needs a favor. He wants her to wake up and tell him herself

Ned says they’re coordinating the evacuation centers. Alexis asks if Jordan has heard from Molly and TJ, but she hasn’t. Alexis tells Ned that they were on Charles Street. Finn calls Alexis to tell her that Molly is at the hospital and should be fine. She asks about TJ, and Finn says he’s fine too. Alexis lets Ned know that Molly is stable, and asks him to tell Jordan that TJ is okay. An officer confers with Jordan. Ned tells her about TJ, and gets a call from emergency services.

Molly opens her eyes. TJ tells her that she has a broken rib, but Finn says she’ll be fine. She asks him to take her oxygen mask off. He says he shouldn’t, and she tells him that he can put it back after he kisses her. Done and done.

Dante shoves everything aside. Kim asks what happened. Dante tells her that Drew is trapped under a door, but he can’t tell how badly Drew is hurt. He needs help lifting the door, but Kim can’t leave Oscar; she doesn’t like the way he’s breathing. Dante throws Oscar over his shoulder, and says, let’s go. Kim follows.

Jason cautiously gets up. He tells Sam the doorway is clear. If she grabs his hand, he can pull her out. The trailer starts to rock, and Jason tells her to stay close to the ground and go slow. It rocks again, and Sam says if she moves anymore, it will go. She tells Jason to jump out; the trailer will protect her. He says, no, it won’t, and tells her keep going. Focus on him. She reaches out.

Finn tells Alexis to go right in, and that Molly will be fine. Molly tells Alexis that TJ saved her, but he says it wasn’t just him.

Julian asks Josslyn if there’s any word on Molly, and she says TJ is with her. He asks why she’s there alone, and she tells him that she’s not. Her mom is upstairs with Michael, and she’s waiting for Oscar. Julian asks if he’s okay, but she doesn’t know.

Olivia-Q shows up at the station, and asks Ned how it’s going. He tells her that he’s coordinating the state and federal services. He was just informed of a water main break, and there are people unaccounted for. Olivia asks how this happened, but that’s what he’d like to know.

Julian asks if Franco isn’t overdressed, and Franco tells him a natural disaster doesn’t care what your plans are. Dante brings in Oscar. Josslyn runs to him, but Kim tells her to stand back. She says Oscar will be fine, but his father isn’t.

Jason says he knows Sam can do this. He tells her don’t quit and never panic. The trailer rocks, and she slides back. She says she’s panicking. Jason holds out his hand, and says she can do it. He grasps her hand, and says he’s got her. Love twinkles out of her eyes, and I roll mine. He grabs her as the floor falls out.

Ned says the last earthquake there was in 1991, and it was a once in a ten-thousand-year event. Earthquakes don’t happen there, and definitely not every twenty-five years. Why this one? Jim shows up, saying his equipment is at their disposal. Jordan says Charles Street sustained the most damage, and Jim says it’s on a landfill and not stable. Jordan says he didn’t waste any time digging, and he asks what she’s implying. She says she’s just stating facts. He started digging immediately after the election. Jim says he has all the proper permits, and she says she doesn’t think the Faultline cares about permits. Olivia says it takes deeper digging to reach a Faultline; like if you’re digging for natural gas – she saw it on PBS. Jim offers to help in any way he can, and leaves the station. Ned tells Jordan that he gets she doesn’t like Jim, but now is not the time. The city is in chaos and people are hurting. They have to pull together as a community, and figure out who to blame later.

Dante and Franco go back to The Floating Rib. Dante says Drew is still breathing, and his pulse is steady. Franco says, good; that means they can wait. Dante is like, no it doesn’t. Franco says he gets it. He was pinned under a file cabinet for a couple of hours, but Drew will be mad if they screw it up and he’s paralyzed. A light falls from the ceiling, and Dante says if they wait any longer, and the building collapses, he’ll be dead.

Finn tells Kim that Oscar is going to be okay, but Kim says she wants him admitted for observation. Amy puts him on the list. Kim sits next to his bed, and says he did good. He’s strong and brave, and hung in there. He says his dad saved him.

Franco and Dante can’t get the door to budge. Franco thinks they should call the fire department, but Dante doesn’t think they have time. They talk about what they can use for leverage.

Jason and Sam jump out of the trailer door in slow motion.

Kim tells Oscar that all his life, she said she was the only parent he needed. She wonders if she made the wrong choice. His father could have been there all along. Josslyn comes in. She says Amy told her that he would be all right, but she wanted to see for herself. Kim tells her to stay, and gives her the seat, saying she’ll be back in a few minutes. Josslyn tells Oscar that she spent hours wanting to be with him, and now that she is, she doesn’t know what to say. The only reason he’s there is because he gave her his jacket, and it must have kept her warm enough, but at his expense. She thanks him for saving her. She hopes there isn’t a next time, but if there is, she’ll save him right back. Kim listens, and tears up. She walks away, and Julian follows her.

Franco uses his own legs as leverage. Dante pulls Drew out, but Franco is stuck.

Jim sees Elizabeth, and says he guesses she didn’t make it down the aisle. She says there was an earthquake, and things didn’t go as planned. He hopes he didn’t overstep, but they seemed to make each other happy. Elizabeth says they do. She and Franco are still getting married. They just need to pick a new date.

TJ tells Alexis that they were in front of their old building when the earthquake hit. They ran for cover, but Molly got pinned under an awning that fell. Julian showed up, and helped move the awning and carry her to the hospital. He doesn’t think she would have made it without Julian. Molly nods in agreement.

Kim cries in the locker room. Julian asks if she’s okay. She says she’s getting there. Oscar was treated for hypothermia, but he’ll be okay. Julian asks if those are tears of relief, and she says, mostly. Drew was trapped during the aftershock, and they had to leave with Oscar. Rescuers are getting him, but the building is unstable.

Dante asks Franco to hand him the crowbar. Franco is like, are you kidding? but Dante says he can’t hold the door and reach it at the same time. Franco manages to get it, and Dante props the door up with it. They both slide out before it falls.

Something explodes near Jason and Sam.

Franco and Dante carry Drew out.

Jason asks if Sam is okay. She thinks so. They look longingly at each other.

Drew is brought to the hospital. Finn says he has multiple contusions, and possible internal injuries. There’s no cubicle, so Finn examines him in the hallway. Dante tells them he was trapped under a freezer door. Finn asks how they got him out, and Franco says, physics. Drew asks about Oscar.

Josslyn tells Oscar it’s weird how things she thought were important don’t matter. She thought she would literally die if she didn’t wear that dress to the dance, and it got ruined by asshat Troy. She thought that was a tragedy, but a tragedy is an earthquake. A tragedy is being stuck in a freezer. A tragedy is after all this, if he’s not okay. Oscar smiles and opens his eyes. She tells him that she’ll get a doctor, but he asks her not to leave.

Kim tells Julian that she has to pull it together; she can’t stop shaking. Julian holds her, saying everything will be okay. She says he doesn’t know that, but he says they’ll hope for the best. Alexis comes in, and Kim goes back to Oscar. Alexis says not that it’s her business, but is Kim all right? Julian says Oscar was injured, but he’ll be okay. He asks about Molly, and Alexis says she’s doing very well, thanks to him. He says it’s no big deal, but Alexis says TJ claimed he couldn’t have gotten her out without Julian’s help. She thanks him. He asks if there’s something else, and she says Molly asked to see him.

Ned and Jordan give a televised speech. Like people must be glued to their battery-run TVs. He says in accordance with the state and federal government, the governor has declared a state of emergency. Jordan says there’s a mandatory evacuation for Charles Street, and the adjacent neighborhoods. Ned lists the places set up for triage, and says if a missing person needs to be reported, there will be coordinators at the sites. It’s a difficult time, but they’re coming together and helping each other, and will continue to do so in the days ahead.

Oscar tells Josslyn that he feels floaty and relaxed. Kim comes in, and Oscar says sorry he scared her. She says she can’t yell at him for being a hero, but don’t do it again. He asks about Drew, and Amy comes in, saying his dad is asking about him. Kim tells them that Drew is by the nurses’ station, waiting for a room. He has some serious bruising, but should be fine. Oscar says Drew can have his bed, but Amy says that’s up to the doctor, and he needs to stay there. Kim leaves to check on Drew.

Franco tells Elizabeth that you had to be there. A door fell on Drew, and he and Dante got underneath it to lift it off. Dante gets a call, and thanks Franco. Franco is like, that just happened; Dante just thanked him. Elizabeth says he saved Drew’s life. Franco says he needs a shower, and feel free to join him. Elizabeth says don’t tempt her

Kim tells Drew that Oscar is fine, and asked her to check on him.

Sam needs to tell Jason something. She knew it was him at the pier and in her hospital room. She couldn’t say anything because couldn’t hurt him. Jason says it’s okay. Sam says every day, she had to tell herself the nightmare is over; he’s alive. She told him to keep his distance, but she didn’t mean it. Every day she was hoping to run into him, so she could hear his voice or see his eyes. She’s not supposed to say this, but she doesn’t care. She never stopped loving him.

Molly thanks Julian for saving TJ. He’s glad he was there, and she says, so is she. Alexis looks hopeful.

Franco showers. Elizabeth joins him.

Josslyn tells Oscar that when it’s over, she’ll have to apologize to the cop who evacuated her from The Floating Rib. She wanted to stay, but he dragged her away. The whole way there, she threatened to sue him. She told him the PCPD has a bias against her family, which is true, and that they have the best lawyer, which is also true. Oscar says she sounds fierce, and she says she was total bitch. He’s flattered that she was fighting to stay with him, and she says she’ll always fight for that.

Kim tells Drew that Oscar will be fine. She can’t believe he trapped himself in the freezer, and Drew says love makes you do stupid things. She says it’s easier in San Diego. If you want to kiss a girl, you can just take her for a walk on the beach. She tells him that she’s sorry she was unfair to him and Oscar. She didn’t give him a chance to be a father. He says he might not agree with some of her choices, but he knows she loves Oscar, and he’s a great kid. He has a chance to know him now, and he’s grateful. She says she is too. If it hadn’t been for him… He saved Oscar’s life. Drew says they both did.

Jason takes Sam’s hand, and says he loves her. He didn’t say it until now because he didn’t want to pressure her. Sam says she made such a mess of the whole situation, but Jason says none of them did this. It was done to them, and there’s no easy or clean way out. No matter what, he knows she loves him and he loves her. If that’s all it is, it’s enough.

Tomorrow, Nelle says it’s not possible, Sam tells Drew she was with Jason, and Carly tells Sonny that he has to deal with his father’s Alzheimer’s.

If Loving You is Wrong

Brad tells Alex that she told him Dr. Raston switched the DNA tests. She lied to him again. Alex is like, homina-homina, and Dr. Raston says to tell the truth; she didn’t say it and she didn’t do it. Alex admits she lied. She just wanted Brad to calm down. He tells her to stay away from him. He’s done.

Randal says he’s confused. Did she do it or not do it? Dr. Raston says she didn’t do anything. Randal says he and his lawyer are going to burn some asses. He’s going to sue her. Dr. Raston wisely leaves. Randal tells Alex he has a degree; he’s a master in psychological warfare. He tells her to give up. She says she can’t beat him at anything, and he’s glad she finally sees that. He asks if the baby is his, and Alex says of course; he looks just like him. Can we please name the baby before he’s in kindergarten? Randal asks why lie, and Alex says she already said she’s sorry. He asks if Marcie’s baby is his. Alex says yes, and he asks how she knows. She tells him to check the dates. She points out where Marcie is, and tells him to go cause hell for someone else. She’s also done. He tells her skedaddle back home – really, he used that word – and he’ll meet her in the shed later. Don’t keep him waiting. He has someone else waiting for him.

Randal slips into Marcie’s room. She tells him that he needs to leave. He says he needs to check on his wife. He asks what’s wrong? Her body can’t handle the stress? She starts breathing heavy, and he asks why she miscarries all these babies; what’s wrong with her body? She tells him to leave. He says he’s there to encourage her. She’s going to have this one, and he’ll be healthy and happy. He asks what they’re naming him, and she says, Brad. He tells her it’s his, and they’re naming him Randal. Marcie insists it’s not his. Randal says, he’s mine. She wants him to leave, and he says we can’t always get what we want. Thanks for the Rolling Stones earworm, Randal. He says he finally got his child though. Marcie tells him it’s not his baby, and he says that’s not what he heard from Alex. She says they both know how honest Alex is, but he says he did some counting, and figured out the baby is his. He’s been having wonderful dreams abut his babies being raised by Daddy Randal. Marcie tells him to keep on dreaming. He says he’s stopping by Larry’s office, and Marcie says that he signed the papers; let her go. Randal says he didn’t sign them; who told her that? She says she saw them, and tells him get out. The light bulb comes on over Randal’s head, and he remembers signing something else for Larry. Too late to argue with Larry now.

Lushion goes into the interrogation room, and asks Kelly how the visit with Justice was. She says, too short, and he asks if she’s okay. She doesn’t know how she feels. He tells her to hang on, and she asks for how long? He says as long as it takes. Kelly says her son deserves better than her, and Lushion tells her not to talk like that. She starts crying, and says she can still see Travis and smell his blood. Lushion tells her to stop talking. He has someone who wants to see her. Pull it together.

Natalie – who has a big hand in this whole mess – comes in, and asks how Kelly is. She says Kelly doesn’t look so good, and Kelly still has enough of a sense of humor to say, thanks. Natalie says that’s not what she meant; she doesn’t look like herself. Her hair is still totally fabulous though. Kelly says she’s floating above, like she’s not there. She gives Natalie a paper, saying it’s a thank you letter. Natalie says no thanks necessary, but Kelly says she’s been a good friend and she’s grateful for her taking Justice. She tells Natalie to wait until later to read it. Lushion comes back, and Kelly thanks him. He says he’s going to get her out. Kelly doesn’t know how. Carl showed her what the DA has, and it’s bad. Lushion says she’ll get out, but she says she did it; she killed him. He tells her that he needs her to stop talking in there. Kelly wants to lie down, and Natalie promises to be back. Kelly says she loves them both, and Natalie says they love her too. Lushion walks out with Natalie, saying he’ll e back in a second.

Natalie tells Lushion maybe it wasn’t a good idea for Justice to see Kelly just yet. She thinks they should keep an eye on her, and Lushion says she’s monitored 24/7. He goes back to work, and Esperanza asks how Natalie’s visit was. Natalie says she’s worried, and asks if Esperanza is okay. She says she’s fine, but Natalie doesn’t buy it. Esperanza says she feels silly talking about it, but she’s been calling Steven and he’s not picking up. Natalie asks, didn’t she tell him that she didn’t want to talk to him? Esperanza admits she told him it was over, but he should still answer his calls; she thinks it’s rude. Natalie asks if they’re doing this when Kelly has such problems. Esperanza is afraid Eddie threatened Steven. Natalie tells her to move on. I’m distracted by Esperanza’s strange white highlights.

Brad comes back to Marcie’s room, and Marcie thanks him for staying. He was hoping Randal didn’t find her. She says Alex told him she was there, and that the baby is his. Brad says he’s done; he’s leaving and not going back. She lied about the doctor. He gave her a chance to tell the truth, and she lied again. He’s coming back to their place if she doesn’t mind. She says, of course not, and he asks if her boyfriend Ian will be okay with it. She says he’s not her boyfriend, and Brad says he seems protective and obviously likes her. Marcie wonders if he likes her enough to commit a crime. Brad asks if she wants him to murder Randal, but she says he got the divorce papers signed. That’s not like Randal. Brad says at least she’s divorced. She says if it’s not true, Randal will just be madder and worse to deal with. Marcie suddenly cramps, and tells Brad to get the doctor.

Esperanza needs to talk to Lushion. She’s genuinely concerned for Steven. Eddie knows what time he left her house. Lushion asks if she thinks Eddie did something. She doesn’t know, but they both know Eddie. Lushion says Steven can take care of himself, and he doesn’t think Eddie would do something. Esperanza says Steven isn’t answering his phone. Lushion says if he calls and Steven answers, she’ll feel some kind of way, but she insists she won’t. Lushion calls Steven, who picks up. He says he’s just seeing what Steven is up to, and Steven says he’s playing golf. Steven asks what’s going on, and Lushion says he’s got to go. Steven knows something is up, and then says, she’s listening, isn’t she? Lushion says, goodbye. Esperanza says he played the game, and she fell for it. She wonders if they talked about it, and breezes out, thanking Lushion. He says, this is why people should not have work flings.

Randal busts into Ian’s office, asking, where is he? Ian says he’s still out, and Randal asks, out where? Ian offers Randal a seat, and Randal asks if he looks like he’s in the mood for a damn seat. The SOB tricked him. He came to the house, had him sign something, and now the divorce papers are signed. Ian says that would be unethical; Larry wouldn’t do something like that. Randal says he did it, and now he’s divorced. Ian asks if that’s a bad thing, and Randal says, damn right. Ian asks, how so? and Randal says it’s not about divorce; it’s about revenge. He tells Ian the papers were filed a few hours ago, and Ian says maybe it’s for the best. He’s a smart, attractive guy. He could find another woman. Randal tells him to go to hell, and tell Larry to call him or he’ll be back, and he won’t be alone. He has friends everywhere. Ian says threats don’t go over too well around there, and Randal says he can back it up. Ian says he’ll be waiting. Randal messes with Ian’s tie before he leaves, because he’s fourteen.

Lushion goes to the box truck. He bangs on it, and asks if anyone is in there. He gets silence, and opens it, finding dead Larry. He calls for an ambulance – stat – and says, damn you, Eddie.

Alex arrives home, and calls Esperanza before she goes in. Esperanza asks what’s wrong, and Alex says she just needed to talk. She says she’s tired. What if she just gives in; gives him what he wants. Esperanza asks if she’s talking about custody of the baby, but Alex says that will never happen. Esperanza isn’t following, and Alex says she’s rambling. She’ll call back later.

In the hallway, Brad asks how Marcie is, and Dr. Raston says, it’s bad news; she lost the baby. Brad says it’s going to devastate her. He’d thought she was doing well. The doctor says the test they were waiting on was the one that told them they were trouble, but it happened before the results came back. Brad thanks her, and she says she’s sorry. She’s sorry about everything. Brad says, onward and upward. What is he? A Boy Scout? Dr. Raston thinks he should be there when she tells Marcie, and he says he’ll stay.

When they walk into Marcie’s room, she says she knows that look. Dr. Raston says she’s sorry; Marcie lost the baby. Marcie wants to go home, but the doctor says they need to keep her there. Marcie says Randal stressed her out; he wanted her dead. She repeats that she wants to go home. Brad says he’ll stay for a while, but she wants to be alone. When she’s by herself, Marcie bawls her eyes out.

At the hospital, Eddie tells Lushion he’d better have a good reason for calling him there. Lushion tells Eddie that they found him; take a look. It’s Larry, and he’s not so dead. Eddie says, damn, and Lushion says he’s awake and talking. He tells Eddie that kidnapping is a federal offense, and Eddie says he had nothing to do with it. Lushion says Larry told him, and wants Eddie in the room. Lushion also wants Eddie off his case, and Eddie says, too bad. He’s DEA.

Steven asks Larry what happened, and Eddie asks what happened in the truck? Steven asks how he knew Larry was in a truck, and Eddie says, lucky guess. Larry says he was playing sex games with a few people, and things got out of hand. Steven says, he wasn’t kidnapped? and Larry says, no, he wasn’t. Lushion gives Eddie a look, and Steven says they have no business here. Larry says, sorry about that, and asks to speak with Eddie for a moment.

Eddie asks how Larry is feeling. Larry tells him that he’s going to get even. Eddie says Larry started it, and Larry says Eddie went too far. Eddie says, no, he did. Larry says, okay, playa. He’ll be waiting; it’s coming. I’ll be looking forward to that.

When Eddie comes out, Lushion asks if he has something tell them. Eddie says to pop some popcorn and keep watching the Eddie show. He’s such a nut.

Randal pulls into his driveway. Alex walks over, and heads to the backyard. Randal asks where she’s going. Brad sees them, and keeps on driving. Randal follows Alex to the infamous shed, and tells her to get out. She closes the door. She tells him that she’s tired, and he says the weak are always tired. She says she is weak, and tired. He tells her get out, but she says he doesn’t mean that because he still loves her. He says she’s so wrong, and she asks why all the fire and passion? She’s tired of seeing him go through it, and tired of going through it herself. She’s just asking him one last time to please be done. Randal says she started it, and Alex says she knows it, but it doesn’t matter now. He tells her that she never apologized and meant it. She says she’s sorry for everything she’s ever done to him. She knows that sometimes he can be a real SOB, but she’s apologizing and hopes he can forgive her.

He says sometimes he doesn’t want to do it anymore either, and she says, then why? He says he thinks about the good times, and how much he loved her. Then he thinks about her and Brad. She tells him to hush. She knows, but it’s over; it’s done. They have a child to think about. She’ll let him see the baby; she’ll get him right now. Then they can really work on healing their friendships and families, and move forward. They can work through this.

Randal tells her to take her clothes off. Alex says that’s not why she came here. They’re not doing this right now. They have to fix this; that’s what’s important. She begs him, but he sinks down in front of her and starts pulling at her clothes. She asks if she’s smelling gasoline. Randal opens the door a crack, and smoke pours in. He can’t get the door open any further, and they start yelling. We see a crowbar keeping the door handles shut, and fire all around the place.

Natalie is sweeping up at the house. She sees her bag on the couch, and takes out the letter. She reads it, and grabs her phone. She calls Lushion. She tells him to check on Kelly. It’s a suicide note. Lushion runs to Kelly’s cell, and we see her feet hanging. He yells for help, as he tries to get her down. Let’s all say it together: Poor Lushion!

This was the finale, so no preview. They promised three huge surprises, and I guess we got them. Larry is alive, Randal and Alex might get burned alive, and Kelly might no longer be alive. We also had a couple of minor surprises. Steven was fine and playing golf, and Larry didn’t squeal on Eddie. I can’t wait to see what he has planned though.

Thanks to Tyler Perry for another great season of temptation!

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Today’s GH is brought to you by whatta pita. I’d missed the beginning because my computer decided to update suddenly (never again am I getting an HP; it will be Dell and only Dell, or custom nerd made), and then there was the school shooting in Florida, after which the show never came back on. But thanks to my trusty online sources, I saw it anyway.

Curtis brings Jordan flowers at the station.

Sonny and Carly start to get busy. They think Mike is upstairs sleeping, but he walks past, saying just pretend he’s not there.

Amy tells Griff he looks amazing. She hopes it’s for anyone except Ava.

Ava finds Nelle still at work in the gallery. She says she might as well, rather than hang out in the apartment Michael is selling so he doesn’t have to deal with her. They did have happy memories there though. Ava asks if she’s giving up already.

Kiki joins Molly and TJ at The Floating Rib. She’s afraid she’ll be a third wheel, but TJ says every day is Valentine’s Day for them. They love each other more and more every day. I’m sure this makes Kiki feel a lot better. Molly thinks she and TJ are the only uncomplicated couple in Port Charles. She might be right.

Sam gives Drew a Valentine card from Danny to his “other dad.” Drew asks what she got, and she shows him a humongous heart necklace Danny made. She was wearing it under her shirt, and I wonder how uncomfortable that was, since it’s so big.

Jason also gets a Valentine card from Danny. He asks if Danny has any Valentines, and Danny says three, maybe four. Wow. He’s a ladies’ man already.

Mike has decided to run to the local flower place and have flowers sent to Rita. Carly is on his side about not forgetting, but says it wouldn’t be the end of the world. He says he stopped listening once she agreed with him. Sonny and Carly explain about this thing called ordering online, but he says he’s an in-person cash kind of guy, and doesn’t do online.

Ava asks if Nelle is having second thoughts, but Nelle says she has to defend herself. Ava tells her that’s the spirit, and don’t take her eyes off the prize. She says anything is possible. If they work hard enough, all their dreams can come true.

Griff tells Amy he understands she’s grieving, so he’ll chalk her unkindness up to that. She tells him not really, but go with it. He says he feels awful too; Nathan was under his care. Amy says there’s a huge difference between him and that woman. He calls Ava human, and says anyone can change in surprising ways. He suggests she open up her heart. When he’s out of earshot, she says he’s in for a rude awakening.

Spinelli sees Kiki at the bar, and they introduce themselves. He tells her about being blissfully committed, but his significant other is on the west coast. He’s staying to offer Maxie support. It’s her first Valentine’s Day as a widow. So why is he at the bar? He orders an orange soda.

Molly asks Sam where the kids are, and after a couple more questions, Sam realizes that she’s trying to find out if there’s somewhere she and TJ can be alone. Sam tells her to go ahead to Alexis’s place, and don’t do anything she wouldn’t do. Sam shows Drew her passport with her new name – Samantha McCall Cain – and he says it doesn’t get more official. She says that’s her name for better or worse. He says hopefully, when they find out who he really is, it will be better.

Danny tells Jason about how much candy he had at school, and finally confesses he’s not feeling well. He wants his mommy.

Sonny tells Mike that he’s driving. Mike says he’s a New Yorker; he’s used to walking. Sonny won’t take no for an answer. Mike says that Sonny thinks he’s going to gamble, but Sonny says that isn’t it. Mike tells him one misunderstanding, and now he’s going to be watched. Sonny says there was no money missing, and he believes Mike. He tells Mike to go ahead and go. Carly bundles him up like he’s three. He tells her not to treat him like a child, and she says don’t act like one. He calls her a pita, and she says he is too. When he’s gone, Sonny asks what Carly thinks. She thinks he wants to buy flowers, and that Sonny should believe him.

Jordan wishes Curtis a happy Valentine’s Day. He thinks it will take more than a bouquet to make today happy. He says she’s throwing herself into work as a way of grieving for Nathan. She says the double-edge is that everything there reminds her of him. Curtis tells her to take a break. The only way to truly honor him, is if they truly love each other.

Jason tells Danny they should try to solve it themselves. Danny says Sam gives him ginger ale, but Jason doesn’t have any. He says club soda is almost the same and they can try that. No. It isn’t. Club soda doesn’t have ginger in it.

Molly tells TJ they can have Alexis’s place to themselves. He asks what they’re waiting for.

Kiki asks Spinelli if he doesn’t want a shot. She wanted to get the party started, but TJ ad Molly don’t do much of that. He’s good with soda, and she says more for her. Spinelli wonders why she’s drinking alone on Valentine’s Day, and she says it would have been her and Dillon’s one-year anniversary. Clearly, they didn’t make it. She downs another shot.

Sam asks if Drew remembered something. He says, not exactly. He and Kim had a disagreement because he taught Oscar to defend himself. They worked it out, but she told him about getting in fight in San Diego, and it almost felt like a memory. Sam asks if he’s afraid that if he remembers his old life, he’ll feel differently about his new one, but he says he doesn’t want her to feel differently about him. Sam says that won’t happen. She wouldn’t change anything. She loves their life. Her phone rings. It’s Danny calling while Jason is in the kitchen. He tells her that he doesn’t feel so good, and asks if she can come.

Kiki left her badge at the hospital, and tells Spinelli she’ll catch hell if her supervisor finds out. Spinelli says it’s noisy in there, so he’ll step outside and call for her. At the bar, she makes a call to Dillon. She asks if he can talk.

Nelle checks the recorder. Griff comes to pick up Ava. Ava says it’s his first Valentine’s Day as a civilian. He tells her that he wasn’t exactly locked away in a monastery in the Himalayas. He even went to the movies and watched TV from time to time. On Valentine’s Day, he held a service in honor of St. Valentine and his legend. Ava and Nelle ask about the legend, and he says Valentine was a priest in the third century, who became the patron saint of love. He secretly performed weddings between Christians when the emperor had banned them. He was imprisoned, and ultimately killed. Ava is like, geesh, and Nelle says, so romantic, but Griff says he sees it that way.

While Griff talks, we see Carly and Sonny, Curtis and Jordan, and Danny and Jason.

Griff tells them that Valentine was fearless. He had the courage to do what was right, and put everything on the line. He put manmade laws away, and refused to listen to anything but his heart. The emperor gave him a choice; renounce his faith and live, or refuse and die. He stood up for his beliefs.

Danny is feeling better. Jason asks what wants to do, but there’s a knock at the door. It’s Sam.

Griff concludes his story, saying Valentine’s faith and love made him immortal. Love never dies.

Sam says Danny called. Danny asks if he’s in trouble. They tell him no, and Jason says at least he knows Danny can use the phone in an emergency. Jason tells Sam that he thinks Danny ate too much chocolate at the school party. She brought ginger ale, but Danny says he likes club soda now. She calls him fancy, and says let’s go, but he wants to stay. He asks if they’ll both put him to bed.

Jordan asks how Curtis got lake trout in Port Charles. He says he wanted to get her out of her funk, and thought about Baltimore when they were waiting for Buzz. He remembered their bad history, and how somewhere a spark lit up between them there. So, he asked Stella for an assist, and she cooked it up for him. Jordan is having a hard time believing Curtis asked Stella to help woo her, and she actually did it. He says a brother has to do what he has to do, even if it means asking his auntie to play Cupid. He did it to make her happy.

Kiki asks Dillon if someone is there. She asks if it’s the same woman as before, and then says never mind. She doesn’t want to know. She’s amazed at how quickly he’s moving on. She knows they’re not together anymore, but thought they had something special. She tells him to go to hell. TJ tells her there’s been a change of plans. Molly says her mom has an empty house. Kiki gets it. She says Spinelli is around, and he’s a trip to talk to, so go have fun. They leave, and Spinelli comes back. He tells her that Amy located her badge, and put it in her wallet. He asks if she’s okay, and Kiki tells him everything is great, especially now that he’s there. She puts her arm around him.

Griff says he’s going all in with Ava; she’s his first Valentine. He says their table is waiting. She asks if Nelle is going to be all right, and Nelle says she’s just going to finish up. Griff gets a call. He hopes it’s a reservation confirm, but no such luck. A patient is insisting on seeing him, but he doesn’t think he’ll be long. He apologizes, and Ava says she’ll call the restaurant. Griff leaves, and Nelle hopes their night isn’t ruined. Ava says, not yet anyway. Griff’s story got her thinking. Nelle says, her too. Michael might have broken up with her, but maybe he didn’t stop loving her. She doesn’t think you can completely turn it off if you’re really in love. Ava says she’s had doubts about love. Nelle asks if she and Griff have declared their feelings. Ava says not yet, but tonight might be the perfect night to do it.

Danny asks for a story. Sam thought he was tired, but he says he’ll be “tireder” after a story. He wants them to take turns. She and Jason get on either side of him, and Jason starts to read. Danny falls asleep. Sam says she’ll stay and make sure he’s out.  Jason leaves the room.

Curtis tells Jordan that they need to grab every moment they have together, and live life to fullest. He tells her she’s coming home with him.

Amy tells Griff that she’s sorry she disturbed his night, even if it was with Ava. She says she’s trying, and he appreciates the effort. She shows him a card a little boy gave her. Griff tells her that when he grows up, the boy won’t forget the kind nurse who took care of him.

Ava tells Nelle that she needs to do what St. Valentine would. Nelle says, be a martyr? but she says, no; tell Griff how she feels. She sees Nelle’s outlook has improved, and asks if she’s ready to move forward. Nelle says, absolutely. Ava asks what she has planned, and Nelle says the same thing Ava does. Ava asks if she’s giving Michael a Valentine he’ll never forget. Nelle says, not Michael, and leaves.

Drew goes to Jason’s, and asks if everything is okay. Jason tells him that Sam is making sure Danny is asleep, but it was nothing serious. Drew says Danny called Sam from Jason’s cell phone. Drew has to hand it to him. He has one hell of an act going on, and thinks he’s above it all.

Sonny realizes Mike left his cell phone at the house, and thinks maybe he should look for him. Carly tells him go, and he can make it up to her later.

Jordan wants to know she did something that made today count. Curtis says they need to make tonight count too. She calls him every girl’s dream, but he says she’s the only one that matters. He says, may tonight be the best night of all, and the worst of nights to come. She promises she’s not going anywhere, except home with him. They kiss.

Kiki knows Spinelli has a commitment on the west coast. So did she; look how that turned out. He thinks it’s time to call it a night, and wants to get her a car. She takes the phone out of his hand, saying she’s not calling it a night. She touches his face.

Amy tells Griff about Kiki leaving her badge, and that she seems to be drowning her sorrows. She’s with a reliable friend though. She can’t be in safer hands than with Spinelli. Griff gets a text from Ava saying forget about the restaurant. His story about St. Valentine inspired her, and she has something to tell him. Griff texts back that it sounds good, and he’s almost finished.

Sam starts to leave. Danny tells her that he loves her, and that it was fun with them reading to him.

Drew says that Jason pretends to be a martyr (word of the day), but he’s passive aggressive. He hasn’t given up anything, especially not Sam. Why doesn’t he admit he’s like everyone else, and out for what he wants? Jason says he’s just living his life. How Drew deals is up to him. Sam comes out, and they leave. Drew gives Jason the eyeball.

Nelle goes to a pay phone. She takes out the recorder. After seeing unknown caller, Carly picks up the phone, asking if it’s Mike. She hears a weird voice say, I’m here.

Tomorrow, Anna tells something she’s never told. Ava tells Griff she loves him, and Sonny tells Michael something is going on with Mike.

If Loving You is Wrong

Walking through the jail, Lushion tells the prisoners just because they’re locked up, doesn’t mean they get to make a lot of noise. Ha-ha! He sees Stephen bringing in Randal and Brad. Stephen says they got in a bar fight. Randal wants his lawyer. Lushion tells him to relax, and asks if Stephen was there. Stephen says they were at Pickles, and he was outside warming up his bike. He tells Lushion, they’re all yours; he’s out of there. Lushion asks Brad what happened, and Randal wonders why Lushion is asking him. Lushion tells him to calm down and sit down. Brad says Randal followed him to the restaurant. Somehow, he knows when Brad leaves the house like he has a tracker on Brad’s car. Randal tries to interrupt, but Lushion tells him be quiet. Brad says Randal came over to the table, started a fight, now they’re here. Lushion asks who threw first punch, and Brad says Randal did. Randal says Brad hit him with a bottle. Lushion has Brad uncuffed, and tells him that he’s going home. Randal calls Lushion a low-down SOB, and an Uncle Tom with a badge. He’s letting Brad go, like he let Eddie come after him. Lushion says he was going to let both of them go, but since Randal doesn’t know how to shut up, he can stay there. He keeps calling Lushion Uncle Tom while he’s being taken away.

Marcie’s phone rings. It’s Ian. He asks if she’s all right. He’s sorry, but she says it’s not his fault. He didn’t realize Randal was that bad. She wonders how Randal knew where she was, and Ian asks if he’s stalking her, but she doesn’t think so. He says they have to do something; he wants to help her. She just wants the papers signed. He says he’ll call Larry, and she hopes he has better luck than she did. He asks why she didn’t tell him she was pregnant, and she says it’s not his business. He thought they were bonding (how metrosexual of him!), and she says she didn’t mean to snap. He says Randal is a piece of work who would make anyone snap. He has some ideas. He thinks if he sees Larry face to face, they can figure something out. She just wants it to be done. He says they’ll talk tomorrow, and promises it will be okay. When she hangs up, Marcie feels pain in her stomach.

Esperanza gets home, and sends the sitter on her way. She checks herself out, and goes to her bedroom window. She lets Stephen in. Assuming she doesn’t want the neighbors to see, what’s wrong with the back door? Aren’t they a little old for this? She pushes him onto the bed, tells him don’t say anything and don’t move. She starts to undress him, and tells him not to touch her. He does, and she smacks him. He finally grabs her, and they go at it.

Alex sees Brad pull into the driveway. Brad checks his car, and finds Randal’s tracking device. He goes into the house. Alex finds him sitting on the couch. She asks what happened, and he says, nothing. She’s concerned about him nursing his hand, but he says he’s fine, and he told her not to talk to him. She says Randal was out of line. He says he’s asking one more time. Did she talk to Randal earlier? She says she didn’t. He asks if there’s anything she’s lied about, but she says no. He says one more lie, and he’s walking out. It doesn’t matter if it’s big or small; he wants her to be honest. It’s her get-out-of-jail-free card. Just tell him. She says tell him what, and he says anything he doesn’t know. She says she’s telling him the truth about everything. He says just tell him now, but she says she hasn’t lied about anything. He says, okay, and tells her to go to bed. He’s sleeping downstairs.

Natalie rattles around the bedroom, waking Lushion. I didn’t think that poor man ever slept. He tells her it’s 5 am, and she did it on purpose. She insists she didn’t, but he says she wants to know about Kelly. She repeats that she didn’t, but since he’s up… He says she’s okay. Natalie asks about the lawyer, and he says she’s got a public defender. He looked him up, and Natalie says she saw his file. He says the one that said private, and she says he left it on the kitchen counter. She wants to get Kelly anther lawyer. Lushion asks if she has money for that, and she says he does. Her son doesn’t know what’s going on, and needs to see her. He says Kelly was talking about them taking him in if she loses the case. Natalie asks if he said yes, adding that she has three kids already. She wonders where Kelly’s family is, and Lushion wonders why she doesn’t know. He says Kelly won’t be convicted, but Natalie doesn’t like it. He says Kelly being in jail or taking in Justice? She says both, and that Justice needs help. They have to help Kelly get another lawyer. Lushion tells her to stop stressing, and she says he needs to start. He’s not there with the kids all day.

Esperanza tells Stephen he’s snoring and needs to go home. He says he’s leaving, and she thanks him for not arguing with her. She tells him that he can use the front door. She asks if she’s just sex to him, and he thought that’s what she wanted. He calls her confusing, and doesn’t think they should do this anymore. She says that makes two of them. She has her reasons, but what are his? He doesn’t like the feeling of her doing him a favor. He comes over, they have sex, and she puts him out. There’s no real time together. She says it’s too much. He says he’s trying to get to know her. All he knows is the shell she shows the world. She asks him to stop. He asks if she’s been hurt that much, and she tells him to just go. He says it’s the last time, and leaves.

Eddie is waiting outside on Stephen’s bike. He tells Stephen, three hours and fifty-three minutes, and Stephen says she likes it slow. Eddie says his daughter is in there. The only reason Stephen is still alive is because he’s FBI. Stephen asks if Eddie doesn’t think shooting random people isn’t coming back to haunt him? Eddie thinks Stephen’s ass deserves shooting. Stephen his ass deserves it. Stephen tells him to get off the bike; he’s out of there. Eddie says he calls the shots. Stephen says shoot him; show how much of a badass he is. Eddie says he’ll take his time, and Stephen says he’ll be waiting. Now get off his damn bike. Eddie gets up, and says he pays the mortgage there. Stephen tells him that he’s not leaving until Eddie does. Eddie goes to his truck, smiling. Stephen drives off, and Eddie follows.

Randal is being let out on his own recognizance. An officer cuffs him to a bench, conveniently across from Kelly’s cell. He asks how she is, and she tells him to leave her alone. He says she shot him, and she says someone’s going to shoot him if he doesn’t leave her alone. Randal asks what he did? Love a woman, and she turned on him, like Kelly and Travis. She bought the house to try and keep him. It will all come out in court. He’s testified in many cases like this; a scorned woman who can’t give up a man, and would rather see him dead than be with someone else. Randal reminds her that he’s a shrink, and says if the DA doesn’t call on him for the case, he’ll give him a call. He was there, and saw the whole thing. Poor Travis didn’t stand a chance with her being a cougar, running after young men. Kelly calls for the guard, and tells him Randal is harassing her. He tells Randal to be quiet. Randal says he will – until he calls the DA and tells him that he wants to testify. He should call Reverend Cain, and see what he has to say. Kelly has her eyes closed, and he says he knows she can hear him. She’s going to jail for a very, very long time. First Ramsey, then Travis. Two murders on her doorstep, and her poor son. Kelly tells to shut the hell up. Randal says her son is all alone because his mama had a gun and killed a man. Kelly tells him again to shut up, but he keeps goading her, calling her mother of the year. He says she doesn’t love her son, just her gun. Kelly says she wishes she had it, and could blow his brains out like she did Travis. Randal laughs, and tells her to look up. She sees the camera, and he says she just made it easier to prosecute her. She’s so dumb, he just walked her in to it. He laughs, and says that was fun; he’s good. Omg, he’s the worst. Actually, I don’t know who’s worse, him or Eddie.

Eddie goes to the container where he’s holding Larry. Larry is in bad shape. He tells Eddie it’s enough; he wants to go home. Eddie says that’s not happening. He checked, and no one has called, not even Larry’s wife. Everyone must hate him as much as Eddie does. Larry says he’s had his fun; enough is enough. Eddie picks up the plastic bag, and Larry begs him not to, saying he’s sorry. Eddie calls him arrogant, and grabs him by the collar. Larry says he can’t breathe, and asks for a safe word, but Eddie asks why. Larry says so he doesn’t kill him, but Eddie says that’s what he’s trying to do. It’s real life; he doesn’t play games. He is a killer. Larry says they’re a lot alike. He’s a man who likes stimulation, and likes to be punished, but there’s a point where it’s enough. Eddie says Larry doesn’t know anything. Larry tells him that he’ll give him whatever he wants; he has tons of connections. Eddie doesn’t want anything from Larry. He puts the bag on Larry’s head. Larry falls to the floor, and Eddie tells him that he’ll be back.

At the hospital, Marcie asks Dr. Ross if she’s okay. The doctor says they’ll find out. Marcie’s stomach is in knots, and she says this happened during her first pregnancy. She can’t lose this baby. Dr. Ross tells her calm down, and focus on good things. They have to run some tests. The doctor has Marcie control her breathing. Marcie asks for her phone, and tells the doctor to call Brad. Dr. Ross asks if she means Alex’s husband. Marcie says he’s a friend, and his number is saved under My Future (oh please). The doctor makes the call.

The phone rings, and Alex picks up. Dr. Ross asks to speak to Brad. Alex asks why, and the doctor says Marcie is in the ER, and wanted her to call. She can’t say why. Alex says he’s asleep. Dr. Ross knows it’s uncomfortable, but asks Alex to wake him. She says she can’t – and won’t. The doctor knows it’s awkward, and Alex tells her to call Randal; it’s his baby. Dr. Ross says Marcie specifically asked for Brad, and asks if she can leave a message to call. Alex says sure, like we think that she’ll pass it along. Brad comes in and asks who it was on the phone.

Next time, Kelly doesn’t want to make a deal, Brad finds Marcie, and Lushion asks Eddie where Larry is.

⛳ Bonus point – Larry wanted the safe word to be golfer.

🎭 Bravo is having an Imposters marathon, starting on Monday at 8 am. Even the ad said to set your DVR, because who is sitting around watching TV at 8 am on a Monday? Okay, it’s possible that I could be, but still, what happened to using the weekend for those kinds of things? It’s not like there are a whole lot of episodes. Regardless, I hope you give this show a look. It’s worth it. It’s a little different, has fun plot twists, and strikes a nice balance between amusing and dramatic.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Jason runs into Robin at Kelly’s. Robin thanks him for killing Faison. He gets it. She says never mind what he did to her, Jason, or even Nathan. He terrorized Anna most of her life. Jason set her free.

Sonny is finally home. Carly asks how their guest is, and voila! Mike appears bearing chocolates. He tells her he’s checking into a hotel, but Sonny says it’s already decided that he stay there.

Ava shows Elizabeth and Franco the studio, giving them a few ideas for the reception. She knows it’s not a traditional venue, but it’s fitting, since Franco is an artist; it’s her gift to them. Franco wants to think about it, but Elizabeth is on board. Ava says he’s the luckiest man alive, and asks how it feels to leave the past behind.

Drew goes to Kim’s place. She shows him a picture of Oscar with a black eye. He asks what happened, and she says, he did.

Sonny says they have plenty of room. Mike says he can make his own decisions. Carly asks if it was like this the whole way there. She says Mike is right. He should stay where wants to, including at the MetroCourt, but she would be offended if he doesn’t stay with them. Mike agrees, even if he is under surveillance. He goes upstairs, and Carly asks Sonny what’s going on. Sonny tells her that Mike is in some kind of trouble. He’s not letting him go back home until finds out what it is.

Drew says he’s seen his share of black eyes. Kim tells him if he teaches his son to fight, he’ll fight, and think best way to solve problems. Drew says he taught him to defend himself; it’s what Oscar asked him to do. Kim says they were doing fine before he came along to teach them lessons. They start to argue, and Oscar tells them to stop. He tells Kim that she couldn’t be more wrong.

Ava tells Franco and Elizabeth that she knows a DJ, and they can make space for dancing. Elizabeth says they’ll think about it, and Ava tells them to let her know. They leave, and Nelle comes in with roses for Ava. They’re from Griff, and the card says, yours today, tonight, and tomorrow.

Robin tells Jason that Nathan’s funeral was heartbreaking. She thinks Maxie is still in shock, but has a lot of people there for her, including Sam and Drew. She says she was surprised to hear they’re getting married. She’d hoped Sam would take a step back and evaluate Jason’s feelings. Jason says she wants a life with Drew, but Robin says that’s what she thinks she wants. If she abandoned Drew because Jason came back, she would feel disloyal, and that every I love you was a lie. She watched Patrick go through it with Sabrrrina. He loved her, but loved Robin more. She would bet everything that Sam loves him more. Jason says she sounds like Carly. Robin thinks that should tell him something; they actually agree. She reminds him that it’s Valentine’s Day, and gives him one of Emma’s candy hearts. It reads, Real Love. Worst. Tasting. Candy. Ever. Like flavored chalk.

Michael meets Jason, and they talk about Robin. Michael says that Carly made things hard for her and Jason. Jason says it was a long time ago, and it’s forgotten now. Michael asks if Carly used him to get closer to Jason. He thinks that’s what Nelle is doing with the baby.

Ava tells Nelle that a year ago, she never would have dreamed she’d be getting a beautiful bouquet from a wonderful man. A lot can change in a year. Nelle says a year ago, she never expected to be having a baby with Michael; they were just falling in love. He made her feel like she wanted to be a better person, and she was going to try, but it blew up in her face. Ava is right; what a difference a year makes. Ava says your life can turn around if someone believes in you enough. You should believe in yourself, but it helps a lot for someone to look at you like you matter. Nelle is happy for her. Ava tells her that a year from now, she’ll have her baby, and if everything goes according to her to plan, she’ll have her man too, and a bouquet of her own. Nelle says, from her lips to Michael’s ears.

Sonny tells Carly that Mike is a runner, and there was a problem with the money. She wonders if Mike is gambling again, but Sonny says he claims he isn’t, and Rita backs him up. He explains that Rita is Mike’s lady friend, and the best thing that ever happened to him. She’s good people. Carly thinks that’s great for Mike, but what about the money? Sonny tells her that Caruso called him about $10K that Mike lost, but he found it in Mike’s cigar box. Mike said he didn’t know anything about it. Carly says that doesn’t make sense, and Sonny says that’s why Mike is there. He’s going to figure out what’s going on. Mike comes back downstairs, and tells them that they don’t have to talk in hushed voices. He knows Sonny has his eye on him, and they don’t have to count the silverware. The doorbell rings. It’s Robin. She comes in and hugs Mike.

Kim tells Oscar that he might have the day off school, but he has a social studies project due. He goes into his room to work on it, and Drew apologizes to her. He says he should have thought of another way to solve the problem. He promises to do better, and Kim says she could have handled it better herself. Drew says they’re learning as they go. He asks about the bully, and Kim says that Oscar can tell him what’s going on.

Michael tells Jason that Nelle seems clear on them not being together, but never misses a chance to lean on him, hold his hand, or talk about the future. He thinks she’s using the baby. He doesn’t love her, and doesn’t really know her. She has something broken inside, and lies compulsively. He has no faith in her as a good mother, but doesn’t want a custody fight. He wonders what the best solution is, and Jason tells him that he wouldn’t try to make a family with someone he doesn’t trust; it will end up hurting the child. Michael had chaos around him, but also people who loved him. He tells Michael to be there day in and day out, regardless of what Nelle does, and the baby will be okay. Michael thanks him and jets. While Jason is paying the tab, Jake comes in with Elizabeth and Franco.

Ava asks Nelle if she wants to go shopping with her. Michael comes into the gallery. Ava tells him to wish Avery a happy Valentine’s Day from her mama, and leaves them to talk. Nelle tells Michael that Ava misses her daughter, and she’s starting to understand how some bonds can’t be broken. She tells him that she get an email confirmation about the mommy class, but Michael wants to talk about the apartment. Nelle hands him an envelope, saying she’s giving him the rent early, but he tells her to hold on to it. For both of their sakes, he’s decided to stick to the original plan. He’s putting the building up for sale.

Drew says Oscar told him that his friend was different, but not that different. Oscar asks if it matters, and Drew says yes, he admires him more for it. Oscar asks if Drew thinks having the alternative dance is asking for more trouble. He says, probably, but some things are worth it. Oscar asks if Kim is on board, and she’d rather he concentrate on his report before focusing on the party. Oscar tells them that they need to work on their co-parenting skills; he’s getting mixed messages. After he’s gone, Drew says he has a point. It’s nobody’s fault, but they did do something incredible together – making Oscar.

Mike looks at pictures of Robin’s kids, and tells her about his system for remembering all of the kids’ names. He associates family members with his favorite horses. He starts to get up, and sits back down, telling them he gets wobbly when he stands up too fast. He thinks maybe it’s low blood sugar, and Robin asks if he has the same issue when he sits down. Mike says he doesn’t have any issues. Robin says, sorry, it’s an occupational hazard, and she has to ask when his last checkup was. He says this is Sonny’s doing and that everyone is taking his temperature now. Sonny says he didn’t say anything, and Carly tells Mike that Sonny is just worried. Mike says, don’t. He had everything under control until Sonny showed up. Sonny says they’re family, but Mike thinks some family is better off staying apart. He’s going back to Brooklyn. Sonny tells him that he’s not going anywhere.

Jake tells Jason that he won first prize in the art contest. Jason congratulates him, and Jake says he did it with Franco’s help. Franco says it was all him. Jason tells him to enjoy his celebration, and Jake asks if Jason is coming to the wedding.

Mike asks if Sonny is flexing his muscles, or is he going to have his guys do it for him? Robin apologizes, saying that he looks great, and sometimes she can be overprotective. Mike says there’s nothing wrong with him, except the aches and pains that go with collecting a social security check. Rita calls, and he tells her everything is fine. He’s going to stay for a few days, but he’ll be back on Saturday, and maybe they can go dancing.

Nelle says Michael never told her that he’d bought the building. He says it seemed like a good investment, and she says, now it’s not? He thinks it’s better for the child if they set clear boundaries. She says, message received, and hopes he doesn’t take a loss. He doesn’t mean to make things hard for her, especially when she’s having a baby. She says she appreciates his past help. It’s all good; no worries. He promises not to sell it to anyone who wants to turn it into condos or hike the rent. She says she’s sure he’ll do the right thing, and asks if he’s sure he wants to do the classes with her. He says he does, and leaves. Ava tells her, nicely handled. Nelle still has a place to live, while Michael and his family get to be with Avery. She guesses they’re supposed to be happy with crumbs, but Nelle says she grew up with crumbs, and she’s done with it. It’s a momentary setback. It’s not over. Her goals are still on track.

Kim tells Drew that she’d like to take credit for how Oscar turned out, but he’s just a great kid. Drew says he’s clearly got her brains and heart, and he appreciates being his father. She says it’s going to take some getting used to sharing him, and letting have own relationship with Drew. It’s been just the two of them for years, but it’s good for Oscar that he’s there now. Drew says he’ll do his best. Kim knows he will. She still sometimes looks at Oscar like her baby boy. He tells her that she should be proud; he’s growing up to be a fine young man. It takes guts to stand up for someone else. She says his willingness to jump in and confront is from Drew. It reminds her of a time when they were together.

Jason tells Jake that he can’t make it to the wedding. Jake wonders if he said something wrong, and Elizabeth tells him no. Jason says that he found a new place to live, and maybe he can visit. Elizabeth and Jake go to the counter for cupcakes. Franco tells Jason that he’s going to be Jake’s stepfather, and Jason can hate him all he likes, but don’t put Jake in the middle. Jason says Jake doesn’t understand what Franco is. Franco says Jake doesn’t understand he had a brain tumor that made him do bad things. He wonders if it’s something like how Jason’s brain damage made him a stone-cold killer, and if there might be surprises coming from his time in the Russian clinic. Sam should be more afraid of Jason than him. Jason says Franco did what he did, and never paid, but he will. Sometimes I like Jason, but not right now.

Nelle doesn’t put it past Carly to take her baby away the way she took Avery from Ava. Ava says she’s probably already working on it. Nelle says she has to protect herself, and think of the long game. Ava tells her that pregnancy can make you vulnerable. Nelle says if Michael wants distance, that’s fine. Let him think they’re going their separate ways. Carly will be thrilled. Ava asks what’s next. Nelle says she’ll let Michael come to her. He’s going to need a friend soon; someone to lean on. Nelle will offer her shoulder. Her shoulder is sympathetic, and attached to the mother of his child.

Michael brings Avery home. He’s glad to see Robin and Mike, saying he didn’t know Sonny was bringing Mike back. Sonny says it was a surprise to him too. Mike asks who Avery is, and Carly says his granddaughter. Mike makes like he knew that, but Sonny looks like he’s thinking it over.

Elizabeth tells Franco to give her a minute, and he goes outside with Jake. She asks what just happened, but Jason says it’s between them. She says they’re getting married and it concerns her. Jake is excited, and wanted to include him. He says that means a lot, but he can’t. It’s her life and choice, but if he went, it would be the same as lying to Jake. Saying that it’s okay when it’s not. Elizabeth says Jake loves Franco, and Franco inspired him; he’s teaching Jake to be an artist. Franco has been there for him time and again. Jason says that might be true, but Jake doesn’t know Franco like he does. Hopefully, he never will.

Kim tells Drew they’d made plans to meet at a bar near the base. She got there first, and a guy hitting on her wouldn’t take no for an answer. He grabbed her shoulder, and tore the strap on her dress when she pulled away. Drew asks, what happened?

Ava hopes Nelle’s confidence is backed up by one helluva plan. She tried kicking Carly to the curb a few times. Nelle says she’ll never see it coming, and Ava has a stake in this too. She got Carly a special Valentine today; one she won’t forget. Griff calls. While Ava steps away, Nelle digs around in her purse and takes out a small tape recorder.

Robin tells Sonny that she has experience with strong-willed parents, but Mike should have a checkup to be on the safe side. She asks Sonny when the last time was he had one, and he says the last time he got shot. She suggests next time he’s due to omit the first part, and says goodbye. Avery gives Sonny a Valentine that she made. Mike watches them, all misty.

Kim feels strange telling Drew the story. He asks if he killed someone, and she says nothing like that. The guy tore her strap, and boom! he was there. He gently pushed her aside, and turned on him like an avenging angel. He says, they squared off in the bar? Did he win? She says he always won. Oscar listens from the hallway.

Elizabeth tells Jason that Franco has changed; everyone knows it. They don’t have to like him, but they’ve learned to coexist, including Michael and Sam. They’ve moved on, and he should do the same. Jake pops his head in to rush them along. Elizabeth says her family is waiting; her future. Maybe he should think about starting a future of his own. Things change, people change. She’s saying this with love, let it go. She wishes him a happy Valentine’s Day, and leaves. He sighs. If there was an Olympic event for sighing, Jason would win the gold.

Tomorrow, Kiki is glad Spinelli is there, Sam asks if Drew remembers something, and Danny wants his mom.

The Haves and the Have Nots

Justin beats on Wyatt. Jim comes running in, and pulls him off. He asks what the hell is going on, and tells Justin to get out. Justin tells Wyatt to call one more time and see what happens. Jim asks what Justin’s name is, and Justin says his name is go to hell. Jim says he has his badge number, and Justin tells Wyatt not to call Jeffrey again; he means it. Jim is like wth? He asks what Justin was talking about, and if there’s something he needs to know. Wyatt says Jim doesn’t need to know anything about his life. Jim doesn’t care if he’s attracted to Jeffrey, but is puzzled that he came in to find Wyatt and another guy fighting over him.

Wyatt tells Jim to get out. Jim says not until he has a conversation with his loving son. Wyatt has nothing to say, and Jim tells him to listen then. He asks if Wyatt thinks he’s scared of him. Wyatt says jail should scare him. He and Kathryn are both going. Jim ask if he remembers their conversation about the DA. Wyatt says they’re all going down. Jim asks what his life will be like after that, and Wyatt says, so much better. Jim says going from rehab to rehab, and waking up in his own vomit sounds like fun. How long is he going to stay clean? He wants that for him, and loves him. Wyatt says he has a helluva way of showing it. Jim says it’s not going to go well. He’s going to end up broke in a gutter, selling pencils for spare change. He’s already been duped with the overpriced apartment, and knows nothing about money; no one taught him. Wyatt says, yeah, they did a good job. Jim says what’s done is done. He doesn’t want Wyatt talking to this DA. Wyatt asks if he’s heard of witness intimidation. He’s going all the way to the Supreme Court if he has to. Jim says he’ll come crawling back, but Wyatt says never. He says it’s done. Jim wonders how he raised such a stupid son. Wyatt asks if he’s going to kill him too. Jim says he loves him, and Wyatt says love is scary. Jim isn’t trying to scare him, but tell him the truth. He wants him to remember this conversation when he crawls back. Wyatt says there’s no home to crawl back to, since his mom is divorcing Jim. Jim says he’s grossly underestimated the power of his father, but Wyatt says Jim has grossly underestimated the power of his son. Jim hopes so, for his sake. He asks if Jim is done, and says he and Kathryn have to stop coming around there. Jim leaves. When was Kathryn there? Like, three seasons ago?

The doctor goes in to see Veronica. She asks if anything is wrong, and if she has any internal injuries. He says all the tests were negative, and she wonders why she feels so bad. He says she was in a car that flipped over. They can discharge her; there’s no need to stay. He asks if she feels up to talking to the officer who’s been checking on her. She wants to ask some questions about the accident. Veronica agrees, and the officer comes in. Veronica asks where she was when a car tried to run her off the road, and the officer asks if she got a good look at them. Veronica tells her they were in her rear view. It was a truck, an older model, black. The officer asks if she thinks it was deliberate. She does. She says they just came out of nowhere and rammed her car. She asks if Veronica has any enemies. Veronica says she’s an attorney who’s represented a lot of bad people. She has quite a few ideas, but will let her know when she gets to the bottom of it. The officer says that’s their job, and Veronica says, do it. She’ll call her boss, since she doesn’t seem that bright. The officer leaves, and Veronica calls Benny. She leaves a message that she’s being discharged. She’ll get a car home, and asks him to call her back.

David paces at the station again. He must have worn a path in front of the reception desk by now. He says, that’s it, and calls Veronica. She asks what he wants, and he asks why she had Jeffrey arrested. She says he wants to be with the boys, so prison is the best place. He calls her a crazy, maniacal person, and she asks if he’s just finding that out. He tells her to call the DA and have the charges dropped. He’s their son, and she can’t control him. She says she can, and David calls her impossible. He says she’s a simple bitch, and she tells him to say it again and see what happens. He says they have to get Jeffrey out; he’s not doing well. She doesn’t care. David hangs up, and when his phone rings, he answers with saying she’s being a bitch. Erica asks if he’s okay, and wonders what’s going on. He tells her, nothing. He’s just trying to deal with a situation. She asks if it’s another woman, and he tells her that his ex did something terrible. He doesn’t know when he’ll be back. He’s got to deal with his son, and says he’ll see her later. He asks if she’s okay. She says she is, but she doesn’t seem like it.

David approaches Justin at his station desk. Justin has nothing to say. David thinks he does. He needs to know what’s going on with Justin and his son. He knows his son is gay. Justin says there’s nothing going on, and he’s not gay. David tells him there’s a video that says otherwise. He says he just read the report about Quincy’s body being found, and Justin was there. He tells Justin to leave his son alone. Justin says he’s not doing anything. David accuses him of planting evidence to incriminate Jeffrey because he’s a psychotic jealous lover (and David should know about those). He repeats, leave his son alone.

Sarah parks Candace on a bench outside of Jeffrey’s cell. He asks if they had her arrested too. She tells him, no, but don’t say too much. She tells him that his dad is there, trying to get him out, and he will. Jeffrey says he can’t go to jail. This is insane. Candace tells him to be cool. He babbles about the disgusting and dangerous people, and she says to play it right, and everything will be fine. He says he didn’t do this alone, and she tells him be quiet right now. She says not to panic; they have nothing on them, and his father can argue for him. He says he can’t be in here another hour, and she tells him to calm down. Sarah comes back. She tells Candace no talking to the inmates, and leads her away.

Mitch hears Melissa moaning, and opens the bedroom door. He sees her and Benny going at it, and Benny tells him to get out. He does, telling Benny to hurry up. Uh-oh. Veronica walks in. Mitch says he brought Benny to get her things, and she asks where he is. Mitch says upstairs getting her things, and she says he’s not answering his phone. Mitch says he might have left it in car, and offers to go get him. He sits Veronica on the couch, and runs upstairs. He tells Benny that Veronica is home, downstairs right now. Melissa asks what Mitch is doing, and he says trying to get his boy. Benny is throwing on his clothes. She says they didn’t finish, and asks if he wants to start. He asks if this is a joke, and she asks if it sounds like she’s joking. They get out while the getting is good.

Veronica tells Benny that she was discharged, so she didn’t need her clothes. He says she’s still beautiful, but he has to go. Melissa comes down in tiny robe, and Veronica tells her to put some clothes on. Melissa says Veronica always wants her to wear it, and Veronica says, for her son. Melissa says he doesn’t appreciate it, and Veronica tells her to go upstairs. Benny says he’s leaving, and Melissa asks him if he doesn’t want to finish. He says he doesn’t want anything. Veronica asks him to help her upstairs, saying she’ll deal with Melissa later. Melissa makes a snide remark about Veronica having to deal with the edges on her foundation. Benny helps Veronica up the stairs, and Melissa asks Mitch if Benny and Veronica are involved. He feigns ignorance, and she asks if it’s true what they say about tall men. She asks if he thinks she’s sexy, and jumps into his arms. He’s like, no way, and Melissa says she wouldn’t tell. He says, bye-bye, and she says, next time.

Benny sits Veronica down, and takes her shoes off. She asks if he’s going to tuck her in, and asks for a kiss. Benny is getting a lot of action today. She says he saved her life, She wishes she wasn’t in so much pain, or she’d take him right now. She asks him to come back to see her, and he says tomorrow. She calls him, her hero, and he tells her to get some rest.

In the hallway, Melissa blocks Benny, and asks him to come to her room; she knows he enjoyed it. He says he has to go. As he’s walking to the car, he zips up his pants, and Mitch and I both laugh. Mitch says that’s some crazy sh*t, and Benny tells him not to say anything. Mitch says homegirl won’t either. He says she’s touched, but sexy. Mitch still thinks Benny should work Veronica. Benny says she’s watching through the window; dude, drive.

Hanna arrives at Kathryn’s place – a gigantic old mansion. Kathryn shows Hanna around, and says it’s a new day. She’s embracing her femininity, and no more dark brown. She got married there, and shows Hanna the grand staircase she walked down. She still has good memories. Distant, but good  Hanna says it’s beautiful, and Kathryn says it should be, it cost enough.

She takes Hanna to the kitchen, and introduces her to Joanne. Kathryn tells Joanne that Hanna knos everything about her and her family. She practically is family. Hanna is going to show her the rope. Hanna says she knows how hard it is to learn a new family. Derek walks in and Kathryn says Hanna remembers him, right? Derek says he was working there, and Hanna is like, sure you were. Kathryn wants to take Joanne upstairs to show her something. She tells Derek that Hanna makes the best tea ever, and to stay for some. Hanna tells Derek that Kathryn thinks she’s slick, trying to get them to go out. He says he told her that Hanna turned him down, but didn’t tell her why, because Hanna didn’t tell him why. She says she has a lot going on, but he thinks that’s no excuse. He just asked her to have coffee. She says they’re going to have tea. She’ll make it, and if can be their coffee date. It’s not what he had in mind, but okay. Derek tells Hanna that he’s a widower, and has three kids; boys in college who play sports. He was married for thirty years until she died from cancer. She was a funny woman, who told him not to sweat the small stuff. He says, His eyes are on the sparrow, and Hanna asks if he goes to church. He’s a deacon, but she goes to a different church. He tells her to stop by. She tells him that she’s sorry for brushing him off. She prejudged him, thinking he was a dog. They laugh, and she says he seemed like he was on the prowl. He asks if he looked that desperate, and says he needs to work on that. He tells Hanna that he’s lonely; he misses his wife. Hanna says he’s a good-looking man. There must be plenty of prospects at church. She says Kathryn meant well, and asks if he was really fixing anything, or was it a setup? Derek says he did fix something yesterday, and Kathryn said she was coming over, so he came back. How about if they have tea, and see how they feel?

I just love watching these people work. This is real acting, and I’ll bet I never see one of them carrying a coffee cup that’s supposed to be full like it’s empty.

Candace is put in cell with Quita look, who says, who locked up now? Candace tells her to shut her mouth. Quita says they finally got her for what she did to Quincy. Candace says she doesn’t know what Quita is talking about. Quita says Candace killed her brother, and her ass is gonna fry. Candace says the only thing that’s frying is Quita’s brain from all that crack. Quita tells Candace that she better be scared of the electric chair. She says Quincy was good to Candace. Candace says he was an abusive psycho. Quita says he loved her, that’s why he hit her. He told her that he loved Candace every day. Candace applauds, saying she’s so glad. Quita says she stabbed him, but Candace says she doesn’t know what Quita is talking about. Quita says Quincy didn’t even get a proper funeral. She buried him in the backyard like he’s a nobody. She tells Candace, what goes around come on back around. She says it came back fast. Candace killed her brother, and now look her son. Candace tells her shut up. Quita says it happened because of what Candace did to her brother. Her son was shot dead in a bathroom. Candace attacks her, and the prisoners go nuts.

Next time, the DA talks to Candace, Oscar bails out Quita, and Veronica and Benny get busy.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

I have to mention that the dress LVP wears in the opening credits is absolutely stunning, and probably one of the best I’ve seen on any of the Wives shows. It’s a glittery copper-colored gown, with straps on top and a full skirt. Simple in design, and it looks amazing on her.

The ladies gather in the kitchen at Teddi’s beach house. Dorit thanks Teddi, saying what a fun night it was, and we see a clip of everyone acting goofy. Erika ended up leaving. LVP doesn’t know why she needed to check into the hotel for stomach cramps, except those weren’t the kind of cramps she said she had. Kyle took Erika’s room, and Dorit says she had first dibs. Erica returns, and Kyle tells her she missed the fun; they were all ridiculous. In her interview, Dorit thought the first topic would be Erika leaving, since they’d talked about it the night before.

Teddi’s trainer Alex arrives, and gets the girls joggling in place, sans Erika and Dorit. In her interview, Dorit says she talked about Erika to the others last year without talking directly to her, and doesn’t want to get caught in that trap again. She tells Erika that she’d rather wait until the others are done, but she wants to be super honest. She tells Erika a couple of the girls were mad that she left. Erika wants to know who it was, and Dorit dances around it, but finally tells Erika that it was Kyle and Teddi. We see a clip of Teddi being annoyed that it was last minute. Erika isn’t too pleased about it. She had intentions of staying, but wasn’t feeling well, and doesn’t know what the big deal was.

Erika ambushes Kyle as soon as she comes in, asking if she was mad about her leaving, and saying that Dorit told her they’d had a discussion. Kyle wonders what sh*t Dorit was stirring up while the rest of them were working out. Teddi says it was weird that Erika said she was staying, and then didn’t. Erika thinks it’s weird she should care. (In all fairness, Teddi did have to prepare the rooms.) Teddi said she’s not mad, but she was just confused. Camille tells Dorit being a tattletale isn’t cool, and everyone should have been involved. In her interview, Camille wonders what Dorit is trying to do. Erika sys didn’t want to bleed all over the sheets. Teddi says it’s becoming a bigger deal than it should be. Camille says it’s because someone tattletaled (my spellcheck – which is pretty liberal – does not recognize that as a word).

Dorit tells Camille that it’s silly, but Camille doesn’t agree with some of the things she says or does. She says things to get attention, and it’s not cool. She can’t keep her mouth shut. She doesn’t think Dorit should have said anything. Teddi says everyone thought it was weird, and now she has to defend herself. In her interview, Teddi says If you’re not okay with it, don’t do weird sh*t. Erika is weepy, and Teddi says the only thing bothering her is that Erika feels badly. Erika brushes her off, saying she doesn’t need any more petting, when Teddi tries to touch her. I’m thinking she’s just emotional because she has her period. Geez.

It’s quiet in the kitchen. Dorit doesn’t think either of them should be upset, and Erika says it’s not personal. Teddi says she didn’t take it personally, but she extended an olive branch, and Erika blew it off, making her feel like sh*t. Erika says it’s her being hurt and embarrassed. Teddi says she’s been confronted like she did something wrong, when all she did was say it was weird. LVP feels badly for Teddi. She’s uncomfortable with entertaining in the first place, and the high-maintenance women are validating her fears. Teddi suggests calling it a day. In her interview, Kyle says no one was mad or said Erika was a bitch. There was nothing Dorit needed to repeat. Teddi thanks them for coming.

LisaR is on the set of The Middle. I’m not a sitcom person, but that show makes me laugh. She says yesterday was a long one, and over 100 degrees. She hasn’t done a sitcom in a while, and her comedy is rusty. She says I’s hard to do the whole day in the heat, and then your closeup is the last one. She’s been through it all on the soaps. She says you learn from your mistakes, and she’s learned a lot.

Everyone packs up. Teddi says she might need Kyle to talk her through Fashion Week. Erika says she’s sorry Teddi’s feelings were hurt, and it was embarrassing for her. Teddi says she had the same feelings when she tried to reach out to Erika.

In the car, LVP says Teddi is trying to hold it together; they’ve all been there. Kyle asks Dorit why, and Dorit says Erika asked her who said it. Kyle says everybody said it, and Erika didn’t single Kyle out, Dorit did. We flash back to Dorit even saying Erika’s abrupt departure was weird. Kyle says everyone thought it was odd. In her interview, Kyle says we all have moments of saying someone did something strange, but you don’t approach them about it the next day. Dorit says it wasn’t a big deal, but can become one. LVP says it just did.

Erika is back home with Tom. Tom has been doing well since the accident, but he’s still working from home. Erika says, in some ways, it’s kind of nice. She tells him about writing her book and writing some new music, and that it’s great, but overwhelming. She doesn’t know how he manages so much; what he does is massive. He says they appreciate each other. She says learned a lot from him. He’s impressed that Simon and Schuster sought her out. He says it means a lot. She’s excited, yet intimidated. She knows no one in the literary world, and is a fish out of water.

LisaR is accompanying Amelia and Delilah to Fashion Week in NYC. LisaR says there’s so much going on, her head is spinning. How this is different from any other time, I don’t know. Amelia wants to spend time with mom, and LisaR says her mom packed her off with a hug and smile. She wants to be able to do the same, no matter how hard it is for her.

PK’s parents are staying a while. Dorit says the kids love their grandparents, but don’t get to see them as often as they’d like. To have both sets to look after PK while she’s gone is a bonus, because he’s five.

Teddi comes to Kyle’s store. She needs what to wear help for Fashion Week. Kyle is having a party at her store in NYC.

PK asks Dorit how she got on with Teddi. Dorit says Erika wasn’t feeling well, and wanted to go to hotel, and it became a big deal. She’s having anxiety over the NYC trip. PK’s mother says time heals, and people won’t remember. Obviously, she doesn’t know this group at all.

Teddi says she couldn’t care less, and wasn’t like Dorit didn’t say something too. Kyle thinks it’s a crafty way of outing them, and stepping away from the fire. Kyle gives Teddi some things to try on. In her interview, Teddi explains that her babysitter is a stylist, and matches her outfits. Kyle puts on a very cute black lace minidress. She’s having fun unleashing Teddi’s inner fashionista. Teddi calls Edwin, and Kyle yells that all the money is gone. Teddi tells him any purchases are Kyle’s fault. She says he couldn’t care less, but it’s her own issue.

Giggy! Harrison! The ladies get ready for the trip to NYC. I wonder if anyone from the NYC cast will cross over. Omg, Lisa’s closet. Erika’s closet. Words can’t even describe them.

Dorit is hosting Bella magazine’s party because she’s on the cover. PK can’t come because he’s closing the deals on her swimwear line. He can’t believe she’s leaving him with all the parents and the kids. Just number him in the latter category.

LisaR shows us Delilah’s apartment. Which has no furniture unless you count clothes all over the floor. They go shopping, and LisaR finds some giant acrylic decorative capsules. We flash back to her pulling out her bag of pills. In her interview, she says she got hand me downs for her first apartment. I got the furniture that was already there. Delilah talks about having a clogged toilet, and not knowing what to do without her dad. LisaR tells us about the cockroaches in her first place, and how this is a whole other level. Yep. I had those too. God bless whoever invented Combat.

Kyle and LVP are going to store, and meeting the others at the hotel later. Erika talks about being eighteen in NYC and not going out until midnight or one a.m., and not getting home until six. She doesn’t think she’ll live there again; LA is easy. Funny, I think just the opposite.

Kyle greets store partner Lizzy when they get to the store. We see the space pre-store, and it was a shamble. Kyle says when she first saw it, she didn’t think they could create such a beautiful store. She tells LVP about the designers she carries. In her interview, she says she and LVP are supportive of each other. They have a history, and friendship isn’t something to be tossed away when something goes wrong.

The ladies meet for dinner. Camille shows us a picture of when she was on MTV as a youngster. LisaR says the girls are going to casting calls with big directors, and it’s humbling to know it’s not just you. They order deviled eggs, and I suddenly want one. Not so much the tuna tartare tacos. I like tuna tartare, but why mess it up with a crunchy shell around it?

Kyle buys some earrings from herself.

Erika asks if they filled LisaR in on the latest. She tells Dorit to go on and tell what happened. Dorit tells LisaR about the dinner with Kyle that LVP walked out of. Erika says very Alexis Carrington. Camille is diplomatic, but Erika says they’re competitive. In her interview, Erika thinks LVP loves them competing for her affection. Dorit talks about LVP and Kyle “getting into it” somewhat at the beach house, and Teddi says there wasn’t going to be a resolution. Then it comes. Dorit tells them about Kyle being outspoken regarding Erika leaving. In her interview, Camille says, here we go again. She can’t help herself. Teddi says she can only speak for herself, but she thought it was weird for Erika to go through the motions as though she was staying, and then leave. LisaR thinks the way they’re dealing with it is weird. Erika says Erika is going to do what Erika wants until the day Erika dies. Camille says there was a lot going on before she got there. Erika tells them that she drove down with LVP, who said she’d felt brushed aside. Camille asks if she might have felt ignored, and Dorit says she does. LVP told her privately that she feels when they’re in a group that Dorit doesn’t include her, and also talks over her. In her interview, Teddi says kindly SYFU. Dorit says she might have said she felt jealous. LisaR asks if she’s saying anything that she wouldn’t say to LVP’s face, and Dorit says she’d say it all to her. In her interview, LisaR worries for Dorit, bcause LVP isn’t going to be happy with what she said.

Next time, Erika wears sunglasses to die for when she meets with her publishers, Kyle talks to LVP about what Dorit said, Dorit confronts LVP, and Kyle confronts Dorit.

💮 I noticed reruns from the first season of Too Close to Home on TLC. Could this mean it’s coming back?
