What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Maxie waits in an exam room. The nurse says the doctor will be a while, and Maxie says maybe she doesn’t need one. She needs a time machine, or a boyfriend who shoots blanks.

Peter meets Anna at the MetroCourt. He says he has a big favor to ask. She tells him not to worry; Finn isn’t a bachelor party type of guy, but Peter says, it’s the seating chart. Please tell him that he’s not sitting next to Robert.

At the hospital Finn shows Portia something he got from Violet on his phone, and says, kids are funny. She tells him, cherish the time. Kids fall out of love with their parents in the preteen years. Trina seems to be the exception.

Chase asks if Curtis found Jordan, but he says he asked her assistant, and she has no scheduled appointments. Is Chase sure she didn’t say anything else? Chase says Jordan wanted to talk to Jason, and sent him on his way.

Jordan asks Cyrus why she’s there, and he says to show he can count on her, for everyone’s sake. She says she arranged for his release, and he’s walking free. He says she got the job done, but needs to step up her performance and dazzle him. She says she has to be careful; there’s only so much she can do. He suggests she take the initiative, and show him how far she’s willing to go. He doesn’t lack problems, so pick one and solve it. Ha-ha! That sounds like me talking to my husband.

Sonny goes to the garage, and asks if Brando is working late. Brando says he’s just finishing up, and Sonny asks if business is good. Brando flashes back to Cyrus saying his car is fine; he’s there to discuss another matter. He tells Sonny that he just missed Jason.

Sam sees Peter and Anna, and asks Carly how Peter gets a free pass. He’s the guy who kept Drew and Jason prisoner for five years. Carly gathers he’s not Sam’s favorite guy.

Jason lies unconscious on the road, his motorcycle laying next to him.

Carly tells Sam, there are two reasons Peter gets a free pass – his mother and his girlfriend. Anna and Maxie believe in him, and nothing or no one is going to change their minds. Sam says Carly realizes Peter was exonerated, right? He’s responsible for Drew’s death, and it doesn’t make sense. He framed her when he broke Shiloh out of prison, and there he sits, basking in Anna’s appreciation. Carly agrees the hypocrisy is staggering. Robert approaches Anna and Peter’s table, and Anna wonders why he’s there. He says, it’s a work day, but she says she doesn’t think people would mind if he took time off. He supposes she’s referring to Holly. It would be nice if his closest friends would tell him what actually happened to her. Peter wants to leave them to their conversation, but Robert says, sit. He has questions, and he’ll start with this one. He shows Peter a tablet with an article on Holly; Holly Sutton: Death is Her Last Great Adventure. He asks why Peter is exploiting Holly’s death in this rag of his.

Maxie tells the nurse that she needs a pregnancy test. The nurse asks how late she is, and Maxie says, late. Speaking of late, she has a meeting she needs to get to for Deception. She says the nurse may have heard of it. It was huge in the 90s, and now it’s back. She should try their new moisturizer. It’s going to be a major seller once she locks down the distributor, which is what she should do now. She can do this later. She starts to leave, and says she knows it goes without saying, but the nurse isn’t going to talk to anyone about it, right? She can’t have this getting around. She runs into Lulu, who says, she can’t have what going around?

Sonny says, Jason is a customer? and Brando says Jason needed a stabilizer for his bike. Sonny says, Jason is family. Speaking of family, he’s there about a family matter. Brando asks if it’s Mike, and Sonny says he wanted Brando to know they’re getting close to the end.

Curtis asks Chase to run through what happened again. Chase says he stopped by the courthouse, and saw Jason, who said he was there to get permits. They suspect Jason was involved with a warehouse explosion on February 19th, but have zero evidence. He wanted to talk to Jason, but Jordan saw them, and said Jason could sue them for harassment, and sent him back to the station, while she stayed to chat with Jason. Curtis asks if he has any idea what they were talking about, and Chase says, maybe Cyrus. They have reason to believe Cyrus was behind the attacks on Sonny’s family, and Jason blew up the warehouse in retaliation. Maybe she was trying to Jason to finger Cyrus. Curtis thanks Chase for the information.

Jordan says she doesn’t want to climb the ranks of Cyrus’s rancid organization, and he says, like she once did? He tells her that she hates admitting it, but she enjoyed the power, prestige, and influence. She still does. That’s why she’s Commissioner. Jordan says she’s going along with him to keep people safe, but he says she’s not going along; she’s taking orders. She says she’ll do what she must, but she’s not part of his organization, and never has been. He appreciates her candor and says maybe she’ll appreciate some in return. The safety of those close to her is in direct proportion to him, and grows with each success. She says just tell what he needs now, and he says his philanthropic endeavors are being blocked; he needs a clear path. She says blocked by who, and he says their esteemed mayor. Take care of her.

Finn asks Portia if her daughter is a mommy’s girl, but Portia says, no; she’s a daddy’s girl through and through. Her father could do no wrong. She’s sure Violet will be the same way, and idolize her dad. Trina had difficulty with the revelation that Taggert framed Cyrus. She wishes she could do more to help, but Trina is shutting her out. Finn says, it’s tough, and she says she doesn’t mean to scare him. She doesn’t think he’ll have the same challenges with Violet, but Violet might have an issue with his fiancé. Finn says, Violet and Anna get along well, and Portia says, that’s good. She’s just saying the day may come when Violet resents Anna for not being her real mom. Finn says, that’s not Anna’s fault, and Portia says, no, but it’s something kids go through in their tween years. They need to blame someone for the missing parent, and mythologize the absent one. He says he knows about that, and hopes history doesn’t repeat itself.

Anna asks Robert if the article is inaccurate, and he says, it’s a hatchet job. He reads: Holly Sutton was known for her colorful past, and proclivity for wit, her ability to get in and out of Dodge, and being comfortable in dangerous situations. Anna says, it sounds like her, and Robert says, it sounds like an article about a woman they’re better off without. Peter apologizes for not consulting Robert, and says he’ll confer with the editor and they can revise the article. He leaves, and Robert asks what Anna thinks Peter is getting out of asking him to contribute. She calls him an idiot, and says Peter is trying to be his friend.

Maxie has a bandage on her arm, and the nurse says she’ll have the results soon. Lulu says they’ll both wait. Maxie wonders if she should call Peter, and let him know his star reporter is trolling the hospital instead of doing her job. Lulu says she’s researching a story on the hospitals finances, but maybe she should call Peter and tell him why she’s all up in Maxie’s business. Maxie tells her to go uncover some facts to report, but Lulu says, not until Maxie tells her something. If she thought she was pregnant, why not take a home test? Maxie says she took three, and Lulu asks if she got different results, but Maxie says they were all positive. Lulu asks if Maxie thought there was inconsistency in that. Maxie says the tests can be unreliable. It can happen, especially to her. She says, she’s totally pregnant, isn’t she?

Carly tells Sam, she understands Maxie is grieving. Peter was there, and only showed her what he wanted her to see. She’s a civilian, but Anna knows better. Sam says Carly is missing the point. Anna doesn’t want to know. She wants to think her son is a good man. Carly says she can empathize; Anna isn’t the first mom to convince herself her kid has changed. She hates that Peter kept Jason prisoner, but he was under Faison’s thumb, and that’s over. If Jason is willing to let it go, and Anna has hope that the bad stuff is behind him, what about Sam? Sam says, after what happened to Drew, Peter is still a threat. Why is Anna still protecting him?

Sonny tells Brando, his dad stopped eating. He’s at the point where he can’t even swallow anymore. Brando says he didn’t know that could happen with Alzheimer’s patients; he thought it was just a memory thing. Sonny says, so did he, at first. Brando asks what the options are, and Sonny says, a feeding tube. Brando says, that’s rough, and Sonny says, he considered it, but then he reconsidered. That’s not living, it’s existing, and he knows his dad wouldn’t want that. Brando asks if they talked about it, and Sonny says they didn’t get the chance, or maybe he didn’t want to go there. When he wanted to, it was too late, so he made the choice for his dad. He’s praying it’s the right one.

Jordan says Cyrus isn’t asking her to kill Laura, is he? He laughs, and asks what he’d do with a murdered mayor. Port Charles needs her, and he’s fond of her, but she’s getting in the way of him acquiring GH. Jordan says Laura is lobbying for Federal funding, and he says her daughter has a public platform. She asks why he doesn’t drop it, but he says, it’s too rich a prize to pass up, and they may never be this vulnerable again. Nelle is suing for unauthorized surgery on her son, and the insurance doesn’t want to cover it. If she wins, the hospital will be even more vulnerable, and it will be the perfect opening for him. Jordan says, Monica rallied the Quartermaines to give the hospital resources. The board will refuse him if they’re told he’s a known drug trafficker. There’s nothing she can do. He says he needs a champion to vouch for his character.

Curtis finds Jason, and asks if Jason can hear him. Jason doesn’t respond, so he calls 911, saying he needs paramedics on Harborview Drive at the Greenville turnoff. There’s a motorcycle rider down, and he’s completely unresponsive.

Jordan tells Curtis that she can’t offer her endorsement. How would it look? She has no business stepping outside her role. He says, but she can speak out for a man wrongly convicted. She discovered the miscarriage of justice, so who better to vouch for him? When she talks, Port Charles listens. She says Laura isn’t staying away indefinitely, and will wonder why she’s advocating for a man she despises. What good will it do for her to lose Laura’s trust and get fired? He says, good question. Make sure it doesn’t happen.

Portia says she hopes she didn’t offend Finn with her amateur psychology, and he says, no offense taken. She says she’s just projecting. She thinks Violet will be fine. She’s growing up with two attentive parents, and will be happy and well-adjusted. Finn says, in his humble opinion, he thinks Trina will be fine too. She has a loving, caring mother. Elizabeth joins them, and says a patient has been brought in who had an accident. He was unresponsive on arrival, and a head injury is possible. Finn asks if she’s okay, and Elizabeth says, it’s Jason.

Anna tells Robert that Peter tried. He knows how Robert feels about him. Does he think anything will change? He’s never given Peter a fair shake, and likes to look for excuses to hate him. Now he’s using Holly’s death. It’s pathetic. Robert says the only reason Peter wrote the article was to get under his skin. Anna says, which is looking thin. If Peter wanted to sensationalize or exploit Holly, he would have highlighted her past deeds. Robert says he’s not arguing, but a lot was left open to interpretation. She says, another reporter might have skewed the story, but Peter wrote it himself. Robert says Peter spun the story, and threw it in his face, and she says she guesses it’s easier to take his anger out on Peter, rather than deal with his feelings. Robert says, what feelings? and she says, grief, loss, anger, regret, pain. She could go on; she’s got all day.

Carly sees Peter at the bar, and asks how he’s enjoying his day. He says, it’s been trying, and she asks if there’s a problem with the service. He says, no, it’s fine, and she tells him to let her know if it’s otherwise. The Invader is an important tenant and she wants to give them her full attention. Peter says she’s thoughtful, and she says she prides herself in troubleshooting and avoiding problems. Sonny is the same way, but his way is more inflexible. Sam gets a call from Curtis, who tells her, Jason was in an accident; he’s on his way to GH. Carly really needs to stop making veiled threats to people about Sonny.

Brando says he doesn’t know about right or wrong decisions in situations like this, but he knows a bit about Mike. Things he learned the summer Mike spent in Connecticut. Sonny says he’d like to hear it, and Brando says, he was ten and crazy about horses. Mike would pick him up and take him to the track. The thoroughbreds were too valuable to have a kid around them, but there were working horses, and he spent his time with one horse in particular, Smoky. Smoky would see him coming, and come over. He knew Brando had an apple or carrot. One day at the end of summer, Mike picked him up and he knew something wasn’t right. Mike told him Smoky got hurt and wouldn’t recover. They went to say goodbye, and Brando tried, but he started crying and said he was ready to leave. Mike asked if he loved Smoky. He said he did, and Mike said, if you love something, you love it all the way to the end. (Yep. Here come the waterworks.) So he stayed, and the last thing Smoky heard before he was put down, was Brando saying he wasn’t going to hurt anymore. Lesson learned. Whatever choice Sonny makes for Mike, Mike will understand. Sonny says he appreciates Brando telling him, and Brando says, Mike is no stranger to making tough decisions. Sonny’s phone rings, and it’s Carly. She tells him that he needs to meet her at GH. Jason was in an accident. He says he’ll be right there, and tells Brando that he’s got to go. Brando says, Mike? but Sonny says, Jason. He leaves, and Brando looks stunned. I really appreciate them stomping on my heart about Mike and a horse.

Lulu says she takes it Maxie and Peter weren’t planning on this. Maxie says they haven’t been living together that long. They’ve never even had a conversation about having kids, and the only time marriage came up was when they were arguing with Spinelli. Lulu says, that’s a lot to unpack in one statement, and Maxie says she has no idea how she feels. Before they moved in together, Peter had a total crisis. He was confused, and afraid to be happy, but he moved in anyway, and lived through the fear. Lulu bets he would love to be married to Maxie and have kids. The family would be over the moon. Maxie says, Spinelli and Robert not so much. Lulu asks if she really cares what Spinelli thinks, and Maxie says, of course (🍷). Spinelli is Georgie’s father, but she doesn’t have to clear her decisions with him. Her feelings are complicated. Lulu asks if it’s because of Nathan, and Maxie says, she’s always thinking about Nathan, but this has nothing do with him. Lulu says, she and Peter are okay, right? Maxie says she loves him, and he loves her, and James and Georgie. They’re building a life. Lulu asks, what is it? Maxie can tell her. Maxie says, the timing couldn’t be worse. She feels selfish, but what if she’s not ready? What about her career?

Robert says he hates when Anna tells him what’s in his soul, and she say he does it to her, and she hates it more. Too bad. He’s bellyaching now because he knows she’s right. He’s afraid of his feelings, and he’s ashamed about not ending things properly with Holly. He says, rubbish, and she says she heard there’s a memorial service in England. Has he made plans to attend? He says, no, and she says she didn’t think so. He should go. It will give him a chance to say a proper goodbye, mourn Holly, and pay his respects. Robert asks why should he mourn an empty grave?

Jordan tells Cyrus. ELQ is capable of pulling GH back from the brink, but he says, they’re prone to infighting. The board will be open to an alternative donor, providing it’s someone in good standing with the community who they can trust. Build that trust. Chase calls, and asks if she’s okay; he’s had a hard time reaching her. She says she’s in the middle of something. Is there a problem? Chase says, Jason was in a motorcycle accident, and was just brought into GH. Jordan says she’s going back to the office, and tells Chase to head out to the accident site and get a full report. Cyrus says he knows she has to keep up appearances, but don’t misplace her priorities. She says she knows what her priorities are.

Carly and Sam run into the hospital, and Sam tells the reception nurse that they’re looking for Jason. The nurse says, he’s being treated now, and Sam says she wants to see him. The nurse says Sam can’t, but she’ll relay the new information as soon as they have it, and Sam and Carly sit in the waiting area. Curtis arrives, and Sam asks, what happened? He says he spotted a rider down, but didn’t know it was Jason. He called 911, and waited until the paramedics got there. Sam thanks him, and he says he’ll go to the station and find out what he can. Elizabeth comes out, and says she was there when they brought Jason in; he was unconscious. There don’t seem to be any internal injuries, but they’re running a battery of tests to see if he’s had a traumatic brain injury.

Carly calls Diane, and tells her, they don’t know anything yet, but they’re running tests. She asks if Diane is sure the paperwork was filed, and asks her to put it in a PDF file and email it. She doesn’t want any problems. Elizabeth tells Sam that she can’t go in while the doctors are working on Jason. The best thing is to just wait. She’ll let them know if she hears anything. Peter comes by, and tries to say something to Sam, but Sam says, back off. Brando has joined them, and tells Peter, listen, but Carly says Jason wouldn’t want them going at each other. She tells Peter that he shouldn’t be there, and Peter says he didn’t mean to intrude; sorry. Elizabeth leaves to get an update, and Sonny gets off the elevator. He asks, what’s going on? How’s Jason? Carly says they don’t know, and no one is telling them anything.

Maxie says she’s sure this isn’t the first baby who’s misdirected a career move someone has been waiting forever to happen. There’s a lot at stake at the moment that she has to evaluate; it’s a big deal. She knows Nina would kill to be in her situation, and Lulu says, if Maxie has a baby, it should be because she wants to. It’s her body, and her priorities are her own. The nurse comes back holding a paper, and Maxie asks if those are the results.

Anna says, now they get to the real issue; Robert’s fixation that Holly is still alive. He tells her that he didn’t say that, and she says, but he’s thinking it. He says he’s thinking a lot of things. What was Holly doing working for the WSB, why the ship went down, who was on the ship, and what happened to Holly’s body? Anna suggests he go get answers rather than feeling empty, and directing his pain at Peter. It’s not doing Holly or her memory any good

Cyrus’s main dude asks how the meeting with the Commissioner went. Cyrus says he gave her clarification of their respective positions. She wasn’t happy, but she’s going to comply. Dude asks if she should be on the guest list, and Cyrus says he’d be disappointed if she wasn’t. Dude asks how he should handle it, but Cyrus says he has confidence that Jordan will do what she’s asked – for the time being. He has a bigger target in mind. With Jason out of the way, there’s nothing left between Sonny and a bullet between the eyes.

Sonny says Brando told him Jason was just in the garage, and Brando says, Jason was there to pick up his bike. He’d just finished working on it.

Robert says Anna is insufferable, and she says, thank you. He always says that when she’s right. Who else would call him on it? He says, Holly, and Anna says, she’s not there; sorry. She thinks Holly would be appalled at his behavior. He needs to find another way of dealing with the pain before it eats him up. He’s going to RSVP to her wedding, and no is unacceptable. She leaves, and he looks at the article again.

Peter sees Lulu and Maxie, and tells them, Jason was in a motorcycle accident. Maxie says, poor Sam. He says he came to look for Lulu because he thought she could write the story. She says she doesn’t think she could be objective, and he says he’ll call the desk to send someone else. Maxie wants to check on Sam, but he tells her that they want to be left alone. What’s she doing there? Maxie doesn’t know what to say, and Lulu says, Nurses Ball stuff for Deception, and Maxie repeats, for Deception, leaving us with a double entendre.

On the phone, Chase says he wants pictures right away. He wants to review them before he leaves. He also wants the site kept secure. He tells them not to let CSI touch anything until he gets there. The Commissioner wants him to deal with it personally. He receives a picture the road, with Jason’s overturned bike at the end of a skid mark. He says, none of this makes sense.

Curtis is waiting for Jordan outside her office, and she says, before he starts, she saw he called, but she was wrapping up something and couldn’t pick up. He says she has a lot of irons in the fire, and she says, now isn’t a good time either. He says, because of Jason? and she says, he heard? He tells her that he was the one who found Jason when he was out looking for her. Does she mind telling him where she’s been hiding?

Cyrus asks Dude, what’s in the bag? Dude says he thought Cyrus would like to celebrate, and pulls out a bottle of Jack. Cyrus says, the demise of Jason, and Sonny’s loss of his human fireball is cause for celebration.

Portia says, the news is good. Nothing is broken, there’s no indication that Jason has internal injuries, and his vitals are strong. Sam asks if he’s still unconscious, and Finn says his pupils are good, but they need to rule out a possible TBI. He consulted with someone in neurology, and they recommended an immediate exploratory procedure. If Jason is hemorrhaging, the worst case is that he’s brain dad. Sonny says, that can’t happen, and Finn says Sam has to sign a consent form. Sam says, it’s not up to her, and Carly says she has power of attorney, and pulls out the confirmation. Elizabeth gives her the form, and she signs it, saying they’d better damn well save him. Everyone looks at each other, but Sonny looks hard at Brando.

For what it’s worth (as they would say on GH), I don’t think it’s Brando. Way too easy.

On Monday, Franco says Elizabeth is planning on not going, Ava asks Nelle how she’s blackmailing Julian, and Sonny asks if Brando has something else to tell him.

🛥 Drugs Below Deck…

I kind of thought it was Hannah, and that it was her prescription, but the way this was handled was appalling. I checked out Malia’s Instagram, and fans are not happy. Apparently, she removed the text on the post in question, and disabled the comments. That didn’t stop anyone from commenting on the post. Malia’s excuse for outing Hannah was baloney, since when Captain Lee found out Kat was taking a prescription, there was none of this. Very disappointed in Captain Sandy and Malia.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

This stupid site suddenly made me do this a new way. Hopefully it’s readable. For whatever reason, some links came out as the titles of the articles, but they’re all clickable. I love when they fix something that ain’t broke.

General Hospital

Mike is up and around, and tells Sonny that he was never better. Sonny was right to get him the surgery. Now that he got some nutrition in him, he’s his old self. Sonny says that’s all he needed, and Mike says Sonny did this to him. Sonny asks what he means, and Mike says, for him. Mike fades away, and Sonny says, don’t go. Carly tells him that he was dreaming, and he says his dad was happy about the surgery. The feeding tube worked and he was his old self again.

On the phone, Alexis tells Sam that she’s fine. Sam is concerned about Alexis’s wrist, but Alexis insists it’s better. Sam wonders about the other thing, and Alexis doesn’t suppose Sam will tell her about the text. Sam says Jason asked her to meet him, and Alexis says they talked about this. What was so important?

Sam is at the MetroCourt, and sees Neil come in. She tells Alexis that she has to go. They’ll talk soon. She marches over to Neil’s table, and asks what the hell happened between him and her mom?

Michael tells Willow that he feels like he ran a marathon, and she says, putting Wiley down for a nap takes focus and endurance. He says, without her, he would have caved, and she says they make a good team. Michael hopes the judge sees it that way.

Nelle finds Valentin at one of the lounge tables at the MetroCourt. She says she got his text. Couldn’t he have picked a less public place? Now that he’s established he’s in control, where is it? He says it’s not on him, and she asks if he’s having second thoughts. He tells her that he and Lulu understand both parents need to co-exist. She should give that a shot with Michael. She tells him to give her what she needs, or she’ll blow him out of the water.

Willow says she’s not herself, and Michael asks if she didn’t sleep. She says she couldn’t turn her mind off, wondering when the judge was going to decide about Wiley, and if it would be in their favor. Michael says he kept checking on Wiley, hoping he was awake. She says she did too, and he’s surprised they didn’t run into each other in the nursery. Willow said on time when she went in, Wiley was standing up; he has the most beautiful smile in the world. Michael says he’s a little miracle every morning, and Willow says they can’t lose him. I just have to say it. What’s with Michael’s hair??? No, just no.

Nelle asks why Valentin cares if Michael gets Wiley; he doesn’t even like the guy. He says he likes her even less. She says she’s Wiley’s mother, and her son needs her. Valentin asks if she’s trying to convince him or herself. She tells him to think about what will happen if he doesn’t help her. She’ll go straight to Michael, Ned, or any of the Quartermaines for that matter, and tell them who their mysterious buyer is. She doesn’t know his motives, and it could be a passive investment, but she doesn’t think passive applies to him. He wants to stage a takeover. If she thinks so, how long before the Quartermaines close ranks against him? Either give her what she wants, or she’ll shut him down.

Sonny tells Carly, good news. Dr. Knox can insert the feeding tube in Mike today. Carly says she wants to go along, but Sonny tells her not to. There’s nothing left to talk about, and if it gives Mike more time with them, it’s all worth it.

Neil asks Sam what Alexis said, and she tells him, after what Alexis did to protect him, he ghosted her. He never even asked Alexis what happened. He says he’d assumed she’d tell him, and Sam says her mother was disbarred.

Diane tells Alexis, not that she’d stoop to schadenfreude, but Nina told the truth about Nelle. She said Julian married her because she had something on him, but she didn’t know what. Alexis asks if that’s when the hearing was over, and Diane says, except for Nelle having a hysterical outburst about Nina betraying her. It was deliciously satisfying. There hasn’t been a verdict yet, but Judge Lowe takes his time. Alexis talks about a case that she presented in front of him, and Diane says Alexis misses it; going head to head with opposing counsel. Where does she go from here? How does Alexis Davis get her mojo back? Alexis says she has no Plan B, C, or D. She’s always told the girls the world is their oyster. Diane says it didn’t help that she’d been previously suspended, and Alexis says Neil would want her to fight it, but she perjured herself on his behalf, and needs to take her lumps, pick up the pieces of her life, and move on. She says the talk Diane had with Sam was helpful, and thanks her. Diane says, now that Alexis’s family is back on track, how do things stand between her and Neil? Alexis says, there is no her and Neil.

Neil tells Sam that he’s sorry. He wishes he’d known. Sam says he could have called, but he says, it’s complicated. Alexis slipped, and had a drink after lying. Sam says, things happened afterward that had nothing to do with him. He’s using one drink to get out of it. He says he appreciates Sam defending Alexis, but this is between them. Sam asks how that’s possible when he won’t talk to her? They can see each other openly now, but he’s chosen to avoid Alexis. That’s on him. Sam walks out.

Sonny pushes Mike in a wheelchair, and says, it’s a small procedure. When it’s finished, he’ll feel better. Elizabeth comes by, and asks Mike how he is, but there’s no response. She asks Sonny how it’s going, and he says, Mike isn’t eating and can’t swallow. He’s getting a procedure to get nutrition in him. Elizabeth doesn’t look happy, but says she’ll find them later and see how Mike’s doing. Sonny says she’s Mike’s favorite, and she says he’s hers too. She tells Mike that she’ll be sending good thoughts his way, and see him soon. Dr. Knox introduces Sonny to Eugene, the anesthesiologist; he’s going to prep Mike while they talk. Eugene tells Mike that he’ll be taking care of him this morning, and if Mike needs anything, let him know. Sonny says he wants to see Mike before he goes to sleep. Dr. Knox says he has to tell Sonny about possible complications first. The chances are small, but they can happen, especially to those who are elderly and Alzheimer patients.

Nelle tells Valentin, give her what she wants, or she’ll tell the Quartermaines who’s buying up the share. His plan will go up in smoke, and he’ll lose a small fortune. He tells her, if she kidnaps Wiley, she’ll end up losing him forever. Michael has unlimited resources, and she doesn’t stand a chance. She asks where the documents are, and he tells her, behind the dumpster in the parking garage.

Carly calls Jason, and tells him, Sonny is moving forward with Mike’s procedure. They’re going to insert the feeding tube. He says he’s sorry. She says she knows Sonny thinks it will give Mike more time and improve the quality of his life, but she did research. It doesn’t prolong an Alzheimer’s patient’s life, and can cause their final weeks to be torture.

Valentin sees Sam at the bar, and says it’s good he ran into her. She asks, why? and he says he has a business proposal he’d like her to consider.

Sonny tells the doctor, other than Alzheimer’s, his father is in good health. He doesn’t think there’s a risk. Dr. Knox says, there’s always a risk, but if he wants to prolong Mike’s life, it’s the only option. Sonny says, let’s do it, and the doctor says he’ll let Sonny know when the anesthesiologist is ready. Sonny runs into Felix, who says he would have prepped Sonny’s dad, but he had no idea Mike was having a procedure. Sonny says he’s having a feeding tube inserted, and Felix says he hopes it goes well. He’d love to work with Mike, but he already has a patient – Yvonne Godfrey. Sonny is surprised she’s at GH, and Felix says she’s been there almost the whole time. She got a feeding tube a month ago, but got a severe infection afterward, and more complications followed, the latest being pneumonia. She’s on a ventilator. Sonny says he’s been so preoccupied with his father, he should have asked Marcus about her. Can he see her?

Alexis tells Diane, the last time she and Neil met, he was furious about her lying. She was furious with him too, and the conversation ended when she got an email from the bar association. Diane says, so he never followed up with a call or text? Alexis says, not so much as a tweet. She’s not chasing after a man who doesn’t appreciate what she did to try and save his career. Diane says, or she could be the adult and initiate a conversation. Alexis says she’s cutting her losses. Neil is a good therapist, but a lousy potential boyfriend. There’s a knock at the door. It’s Neil.

Willow asks if Michael doesn’t think it’s unfair to cut Nelle out of Wiley’s life completely. Maybe they could work out a compromise. Michael wishes they could. If Wiley never knows Nelle, he might idealize her as the mom who never says no. It’s for the best that Wiley sees her on a limited basis, and gets a sense of who she is. Wiley will learn firsthand that he can’t trust her. Willow says they could consider that when he’s older, but right now, Nelle is so mean and emotionally unstable, she’s worried Nelle will hurt him. She’s late for visitation, and has no consideration for Wiley’s schedule or what he needs. Michael says Willow doesn’t have to be there when Nelle comes over, but she says she has no intention of hiding. She could use some incentive though. Maybe they could do something with Wiley this afternoon. Michael says he knows the perfect place. Willow says, the park, and he says, Wiley loves the carousel.

Sam asks if Valentin needs a private investigator, and he says, no. He’s acquiring certain assets, and could be helped by her children’s trust funds. She asks what he means, and he says she controls their ELQ shares, and he assumes they inherited some shares from Drew. Sam says, that’s their legacy; the stocks aren’t for sale. He says he doesn’t want to buy them, just borrow them.

Jason goes to Sonny’s house, and Carly shows him her tablet. She points out the complications that can happen with a feeding tube, and says, statistics have proven that it doesn’t extend an Alzheimer’s patient’s life. He asks if Sonny doesn’t know, and she says, he doesn’t want to know.

Sonny looks through the window of Yvonne’s room, and sees she’s hooked up to all kinds of machines.

Willow suggests the Natural History Museum, but Michael asks if Wiley isn’t too young for that. She says, you’re never too young for dinosaurs. The doorbell rings, and Michael guesses it’s show time after all. Nelle says she’s there to visit her sweet little boy, in compliance with the court order. Michael says she’s over an hour late, and Wiley is down for his nap.

Alexis introduces Neil to Diane, and Diane says she’s heard a bit about him. He says he won’t ask if it was good, and she says, attorney/client privilege. She has to go to a client meeting, and Alexis tells her, good luck with Judge Lowe. Neil hands Alexis a DVD, and says he heard she was disbarred. He’s so sorry. She looks at the DVD, and says, Aida, and he tells her it’s the same production they saw. He ordered one for himself and one for her. She asks, when? and he says, a while ago. He would have dropped it off, but… She says, he decided he never wants to see her again?

Sam asks how Valentin wants to borrow the shares, and he says he wants the voting proxy. Her children will still own the shares, but he needs her to delegate the power to vote to him until they’re 18. At that point, it will revert back to them. Sam says she’s turning him down. Her children don’t need the money, and she doesn’t need the money. He tells her, who says he wants to give her money?

Sonny asks Felix why Yvonne is in restraints, and Felix says, she keeps trying to pull the feeding tube out. Sonny says she doesn’t seem to know what’s going on, and Felix says, her husband authorized it. He doesn’t believe it’s right for her to die when there are so many ways to prolong her life. Sonny thanks Felix for letting him see her.

Carly tells Jason, the website says Alzheimer’s and dementia patients require restraints so they’ll stop pulling the feeding tube out. If Mike was struggling, Sonny wouldn’t be able to bear it. Jason says, Sonny needs to hear that, but Carly says, he won’t. She asks him to come with her and help her. Maybe Sonny will listen to both of them together. Please.

Sonny sits with his head in his hands, and Elizabeth sits down near him. They look at each other. I want to cry.

Elizabeth asks if the procedure didn’t go well, and Sonny says he saw a patient like his father. She was started on a feeding tube, and they were using machine to keep her alive. That’s no way to live. His father wouldn’t want that, but how can he do nothing for him? Right up until the last few days, his father was still in there. Ava came to visit, they watched baseball; in those few moments, Mike was alive. If he does nothing for Mike, if he doesn’t do everything he can to make sure Mike is kept alive, he’ll feel like he failed Mike. He’ll feel like he failed himself. Elizabeth says his dad would never see it as failing. He’d be the first to defend whatever decision Sonny makes.

Alexis says she understands that Neil is angry with her; he made that clear. He says he was still in the process of losing his license, and not thinking clearly. Alexis says, now he is? He says he came to apologize. He’s angry at himself for taking advantage of her. She says, it takes two to tango, and she was willing to tango with him. They’re both guilty of being impulsive. Neil says he saw himself as the opposite; it was out of character. She asks if that’s his apology, and he asks if she accepts it. She says she won’t. She can’t.

Sam says if Valentin isn’t offering her money, he must have something he thinks she wants. He says he’s aware that the conditions of her parole state that she can’t associate with any known felons. The rule is at the discretion of the parole officer, and her parole officer enforced it to the limit. She can’t see her husband for a year and a half, or she’ll have her parole revoked and go back to prison. She asks how he knows all this, and he says, that’s not the question. He has a way to remove those draconian conditions, and allow her to associate with whoever she pleases.

Nelle says she going to let the judge know Michael won’t let her see her son. Michael tells her, he never said that, and Willow says Michael told her that she’d have to wait until after Wiley’s nap. His schedule takes precedence over hers. Nelle says she’s not going to endure hostility for hours, and Michael suggests they reschedule. He’ll tell the court she missed her time, and they’ll set a new date. She brings out a small stuffed bear, and tells him to give Wiley this – from his mom. Mr. Willikers will remind him of her, in case she’s not around. Michael says Wiley’s favorite toy is a stuffed kangaroo. Wiley won’t go anywhere without Mr. Hopsicle. She says how nice they know so much about her son. She picks up the kangaroo, and says, Mr. Hopsicle has a pouch; he should be Mrs. Hopsicle. Doesn’t Michael want to be politically correct? Willow asks if Nelle ever has anything nice to say, and Michael tells her not to engage. Nelle says she can only imagine how they paint her to Wiley as a wicked witch, but it’s not about her. It’s about Willow, and how she wants to be the perfect mother, even though she’s not a mother at all. At the end of the day, she’s his real mother, and that will never change. Never.

Sonny tells Elizabeth that he knows she and Jason talked about Mike, and she says, as a nurse, she has her own opinion, but it’s not her place to tell him what to do. He says she’s not just a nurse; she’s a trusted friend. He’s asking what she thinks. She says she thinks he needs to make the best decision he can for his dad; for his dignity and quality of life. It isn’t selfish. Not if he believes it’s a merciful decision. Sonny doesn’t know, and Elizabeth says, this is hard, but when she saw his dad just now, all she saw was the shell of a man. There’s no spark left inside. Mike can’t feed himself, he can’t enjoy food, he can’t even smile. He won’t go to another baseball game or enjoy his grandchildren or his son. What kind of life is that? Sonny says, Mike has moments. When Ava came, he loved Avery’s drawings. Sonny fed Mike manicotti, and put things in Mike’s ears, so he could listen to music. Elizabeth says, even with a feeding tube, Mike is going to die. Maybe not today or tomorrow, but eventually, his heart is going to give out. He has to ask himself how much Mike is suffering. Sonny thinks he knows what his dad would want, but he’s feeling guilty if he’s not doing everything to keep Mike alive. But it’s not about him; it’s about Mike. Elizabeth says, years ago, Lucky told her something Mary Mae Ward said. Life presents opportunities for grace. She realized grace isn’t joy or triumph. It’s not something you get when you win. Grace comes when you’re forced to make difficult choices. Ones that often hurt us.

Alexis says, like Neil, she had a career she loved, and she’s having a hard time processing it like him. He wonders if they’ve lost the potential for a relationship for nothing, and she says she needs time. She’s not saying it’s forever. He says, just for now. He wonders if they can maybe see each other on common ground, just as friends, but she says she can’t. In the meantime, thanks for the DVD. He tells her, enjoy, and leaves.

Valentin tells Sam that he knows people who can get Delores off her case. All she has to do is give him the voting proxy, with one caveat; secrecy. If she tells anyone, the deal is off. She has the feeling he’s not telling her everything, but he says he has no ulterior motive; it’s just business. She asks why she should believe him, and he says, it’s mutually advantageous. They both get what they want. She thinks there’s a catch she hasn’t seen yet, and he tells her to think about it. The deal isn’t on the table indefinitely.

Carly and Jason get to the hospital, and Carly asks Sonny if Mike had the procedure. Sonny says, not yet, but before they say anything, he changed his mind. He wants the doctors to keep Mike comfortable, but no extreme measures; no feeding tube. He appreciates both of them giving him room. He didn’t make it easy on them, but he needed to figure it out for himself – with a little help from a friend. Carly says, Mike would thank him. Sonny says he’s going to talk to the doctors, and when he’s gone, Carly tells Elizabeth, whatever she said, thank you. Elizabeth says she’s going to miss Mike, and Jason says they all will. Me too. Carly says they have to figure out how to say goodbye, and Jason nods.

Outside, Nelle looks at a tracking device on her phone. She says she’ll always know where her beautiful Wiley is.

Michael asks Willow if they’re still on for the park, and she says, absolutely. A carousel ride is the perfect antidote for a visit from Nelle.

Nelle takes out two passports; one for her, and one for Wiley.

Willow says they can go to the play area, and Michael says he can’t wait for her to see what a champ Wiley is on the big slide. He’s totally fearless. She says, like his dad, and Michael says he’d like to think Wiley is learning by example. Willow says she’s not fearless, and he says, maybe not, but she’s brave enough to do the right thing, even if it scares her. No matter what Nelle says, she’ll always be Wiley’s real mother.

Carly and Jason look in on Sonny with Mike. Sonny sits next to Mike’s bed, and asks how it’s going. Mike says something I don’t hear, or maybe it’s nothing, and Sonny says he talked to the doctor. There’s not going to be a procedure. When Mike is ready to go sleep, it will be when he chooses to, not anybody else. His family loves him a great deal. Sonny loves him, and his love for Mike is going to last forever. So if he doesn’t want to stick around, he doesn’t have to. Mike breathes a sigh of relief, tearing up, and Sonny says when he’s ready to go, he can go. Mike nods, and one tear rolls down Sonny’s cheek.

Tomorrow, Dante says there’s a timebomb ticking in his head. Maxie says something momentous is going to happen, and Cyrus goes to the garage to talk to Brando.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Like Max from 2 Broke Girls said, I have no more capacity for hate in my head. Yet I watch this.

30 minutes after dinner. Kyle sits with Teddi, Erika, and Sutton. She says, it was the effing worst. Erika says, it was horrible, and Kyle wonders if it’s true. Erika says, either Brandi is one huge ass liar, or Denise is covering all her bases like crazy. Kyle says she feels tortured. Oh please. Sitting with Denise and Garcelle, Dorit says, it was like a bomb. Garcelle wonders what Denise is going to do, and Denise says, it’s effing slander. Garcelle asks why Brandi would make it up, and if she’s going to come up with any text messages. Denise asks, what would she have said? Great f*** last night; thank you? Sutton says Denise is fight or flight, and might not be there tomorrow.

It’s morning, and LisaR looks like sh*t. Good. Sutton drops off a pair of boots to Kyle. Kyle says the boots are making her happy. It’s just what the doctor ordered. She asks if Sutton has talked to Denise, and she says, not this morning. Brandi shouldn’t talk… Sutton says she has to finish her deliveries. In her interview, Sutton says she didn’t know if it was going to rain in Rome, so she had boots made for everyone. She brought them in a suitcase, knowing she can shop and fill it. We flash back to the night before, and Garcelle is telling Denise, this too shall pass. Denise says, that’s what her mom always said. Dorit says she’s sure Denise has things to say to certain people.

LisaR calls Denise, and asks how she is, like she cares. Denise says, just peachy. LisaR thinks they need to talk, and asks if she can come down. Denise says, yeah, and I wonder why she’s bothering. Kyle calls Dorit, and asks if they can meet up before they meet Sutton at Dolce. Dorit says, sure, and in her interview, she says, arguing with Kyle gets her nowhere. We flash back to Kyle cutting her off at dinner, and then go to Kyle trying to call Dorit last night, and saying, she’s not answering. Dorit says, maybe the silent treatment will make Kyle realize she treats her differently than the others. And she’d better apologize.

Denise tells LisaR that she doesn’t know where to start. LisaR says she doesn’t either. Denise says she was blindsided. LisaR knew, and she asks how LisaR could let her go through the whole day, and not say something. LisaR says she heard about it when Denise was flying in; there was no time. This is such bullsh*t, I can’t even. There was plenty of time. Denise says, if it was the other way around, wouldn’t LisaR want her to send a text or something? She’s always had LisaR’s back. In LisaR’s interview, she says, she doesn’t feel it was her responsibility. That was Teddi’s job, since she’s the one who heard about it. You get in trouble when you play telephone. Denise asks why LisaR was egging Teddi on with, you gotta say it, you gotta say it. LisaR says, because it’s out there. In her interview, LisaR says, if it wasn’t true, Denise would be calling Brandi and confronting her. Denise says she’s only seen Brandi a couple of times in her life. Brandi wanted Denise to do her podcast, but she was out of town. Brandi asked to come to Denise’s set for an interview. She thinks Brandi stayed overnight. LisaR asks if Denise has tried calling Brandi, and Denise says, no; she’s canceling Brandi. It’s not cool. She hasn’t cheated on her husband. LisaR asks why Denise thinks Brandi would say it, and Denise says, shock value? She thinks what got sh*t stirrer Teddi upset, was that Brandi claimed she’d said things about Teddi that she didn’t. We flash back to Teddi repeating that Denise said she was pathetic, and wanted to be in with the group because she was tired of living in her father’s shadow. Which I agree with, even if Denise doesn’t. Denise tells LisaR, whatever she’s had to say about Teddi, she’s said to her face. Brandi told her that the group talked behind her back. In LisaR’s interview, she says Denise told them she didn’t talk much to Brandi. It’s effing confusing. Denise says, she and Brandi don’t talk all time. It’s time to move on; she came there wanting to have fun. LisaR says she’s going to rally everyone; she rented a couple of Ferraris. She asks if Denise would be more comfortable shopping with Sutton, but Denise says, it’s been a lot. She needs a minute. Let me just say it. LISAR DISGUSTS ME. From her pumped up lips that can’t wait to talk trash, to her claiming to own it when she passes the buck constantly. I can’t stand her. She’s admitted she’ll say yes to anything and is a hustler. And what she’s always doing is hustling her way to more screen time. Why Denise even gives this lowlife the time of day, I have no idea.

Teddi calls Kyle, and says she’s doing stuff around there today. She wants to get in some fitness, and rest before tonight. She has jet lag, and she’s pregnant. Kyle meets Dorit, and they go to a café. Kyle says, this is what they should be doing; sitting outside with a glass of wine. Kyle says she knows Dorit is upset with her, and we flash back to last night, when Dorit said Kyle didn’t let her finish. Kyle says, it’s not her intention, but Dorit says Kyle cuts her off when she’s trying to make a point, and it makes her look bad. Kyle says, everybody in the group does that, but we flash back to just Kyle doing it over and over, and attacking Dorit. Kyle is like one of those people who says, we were all drunk, when they’re the only one who acted like a drunken fool. In Dorit’s interview, she says she feels that Kyle takes advantage of their friendship. Kyle knows Dorit will forgive her, so she throws digs and cuts Dorit off. It’s hurtful, and Kyle needs to recognize that. She says Kyle made it seem like she wasn’t sensitive. What she was saying got twisted, and it looked like she was going after Denise. In her interview, Dorit says, Kyle never defended her when she knew Teddi planned to humiliate her. We flash back to the reunion, where Teddi was reminded she said she didn’t want to be the only one do this to Dorit. In her interview, Dorit says she doesn’t know why Kyle treats her differently. Kyle thought she was making Denise look bad, but she was only thinking, oh my God, what Denise has to deal with. She gets tortured when she cares about someone. Dorit tells Kyle that when she feels hurt, sometimes she needs distance, and Kyle says she gets it. She apologizes, and in her Dorit’s interview, she says, in a group, Kyle is vicious, but one on one, she’s sweet. That’s because Kyle never left middle school, and she’s queen of the group now. Kyle says she cares about Dorit, and Dorit says sometimes the jokes on Kyle’s part go too far. In Kyle’s interview, she says she thinks Dorit over-reacted, but she’ll try to remember her points, and save them for later. She makes a face like being polite is so ridiculous. Kyle says she’s glad they talked. She doesn’t want it to grow. Dorit says she was with Denise and Garcelle until 2 am, and Kyle asks what Denise was saying. Dorit says Denise told them it’s not true, and maybe Brandi is doing it for attention. Is it possible she made it up? Kyle says she doesn’t think Brandi makes things up, and I choke on my coffee. In Kyle’s interview, she says, Brandi has already been in a lawsuit with Joanna Krupa. Yeah. I remember that. Google it, because I’m not repeating something that disgusting. Kyle doesn’t think Brandi would cause legal problems for herself again. She tells Dorit, regardless of what’s true, Denise has a lot to deal with.

Garcelle goes to Denise’s room, and asks if she’s okay. Denise says, not really. Garcelle asks if she’s coming out; they’re going driving. Denise says, this is a lot, and in Garcelle’s interview, she says, when she was going through her divorce, and it was in the tabloids, she reached out to Denise, who told her to shut it down and move forward. It’s a sh*tty position to be in, but what options does she have? If she can deal with Charlie Sheen, she can deal with LisaR and Teddi. In Denise’s interview, she says she loves Garcelle. She’s a true, loyal friend, and she doesn’t get caught up in what other people are saying. Denise respects that. Outside, the Ferraris arrive, and we see they’re worth a measly $210K. The other women pretend nothing happened. A guide tells them they’re driving to a wine tasting, and Erika gets behind the wheel of one. In her interview, she says, it’s everything she lives for in life; Italian men, food, and cars. They get to tourist spot with a gorgeous view, and take selfies. Garcelle is the cutest when she smiles and shows her dimples.

Dorit suggests getting Fendi pouches for the girls for Christmas at the Dolce store. In Sutton’s interview, she says when she told Dolce that she was coming to Rome, he told her to come shopping and bring the girls. She didn’t ask; she doesn’t have to. We flash back to Sutton telling LisaR that she gets a tiara on her birthday from Dolce and Gabbana. Client representative Mario greets them, and you’d think Sutton was his long lost sister. He has a selection ready for Sutton. In Dorit’s interview, she says first she got a handbag, then rainboots, and now this experience. Is Sutton trying to buy their friendships? If so, it’s good to have friends in high places. They try on tiaras, and we flash back to Sutton’s collection.

The others go to the wine tasting. They’re led by restaurant owner Matteo to a space underground. He introduces them to sommelier Monica and says he’s leaving them in good hands. Monica brings fabulous appetizers to go with the wine. Once again I wonder why people who don’t appreciate it get these opportunities. While I like Garcelle, Denise, and Sutton, I’m so over the rest of them. In Garcelle’s interview, she says, it’s a slice of heaven. She says, in a group the women shop and party more, drink hard, and fight harder. In a smaller group, they’re more civilized. Can they just keep doing this? At the store, the other women have champagne. They expect a fashion show from Sutton, but she says she likes to try on things in private. Dorit asks if Kyle has ever gone in a store and not bought something, and Kyle says, never.

Monica tells the women, with each bottle, the wine is rising in alcoholicity. In Denise’s interview, she says she needs to know how to say tequila in Italian. Denise mentions her garlic allergy, and Erika says Tom has one too. She has to douse herself in Listerine when she eats it, and he still says he can smell it; it comes out of her pours. Truth. She says, he’s a drama queen and a pouter. In her interview, Erika says that she’s not the diva in the relationship. Tom is the biggest diva known to man. LisaR says, Harry never pouts. Erika asks if he ever raises his voice, and LisaR says, if he does, it’s time to run for the hills. Denise says her dad was like that. Garcelle says some of the women like to shout, and she got a quick initiation last night. How can they be like this the next day? Denise says, in her family, they talk it out, apologize, let it roll of their backs, and move on. She thinks some women in the group want that chaos around them. Garcelle says, this is delish, but I don’t know if she means the wine or the topic. Denise says, sometimes, it’s hard to talk about some things. You’re halfway through a sentence, when someone else is coming at you. How are you supposed to know what’s going on, who’s upset, or how to resolve it? Erika says that’s why you have to just tell your truth. The way she sees it, they’re all grown-ups, and can defend themselves. Really? I think it’s difficult when the others act like bullying children, and gang up on someone, ambushing them. Denise says she heard Erika was upset with Aaron, and Erika says she didn’t like the way Aaron talked to them. We flash back to the party where Erika provoked Aaron. Denise says she didn’t know what he’d said, and Erika says, it’s hard when husbands get involved; it adds another layer. Denise agrees, and Erika says they’ve had that before, referring to PK. She says, men communicate differently, and maybe Aaron has a different perspective. He was protecting his wife, and she respects and understands that, but there’s a time, place, and tone for everything. I would agree, if she hadn’t been the one to start the conversation. Was he just supposed to listen to her and say nothing? Denise apologizes on his behalf, saying she wasn’t there, but she knows Aaron wouldn’t want to be hurtful or condescending. He’ll have to apologize directly, but she’d love to just move past it if they can. In Erika’s interview, she says if she can move past PK, she can move past this. Erika says she doesn’t look at Denise based on Aaron. In Denise’s interview, she says, with the twenty issues they have, she feels like she put one to bed. LisaR says she’s glad they talked. Garcelle says he has a confession to make… She’s tipsy. Erika says, bitch, so am I. She’s lit.

Kyle wonders what tonight will be like, and Sutton says, if it’s not fun, she’s going to be mad. Life is too short to keep fighting. In Kyle’s interview, she says she just knows it’s not going to be a relaxing, peaceful dinner. While getting ready, Dorit says she’s channeling her fun 90s look. They meet at a restaurant, and Garcelle is shocked that Denise is wearing a dress. Everyone waits for Dorit. Someone has been putting lipstick on her for an hour, and she asks if everyone is downstairs. The producer says, yes, but that doesn’t get her to move any faster. Garcelle says, it better be worth it, but when Dorit gets there, Kyle doesn’t know if it was worth it. We flash back to Kyle being pissed about Dorit getting glam for Yeti’s Teddi’s retreat. In her interview, Kyle says if she finds out Dorit was taking up time doing a photo shoot, she’s going to lose her sh*t. In Denise’s interview, she says she’s feeling uncomfortable. The truth is, she called the airline, but couldn’t get a flight out. Hopefully, the women had a great day, and they can put last night aside. At the end of the day, she likes and respects them… most of them.

They go to private table downstairs. In LisaR’s interview, she says seeing Denise and Erika be honest and move on, makes her hope the whole group can do the same. It’s progress. She asks everyone how their day was, saying they should start with being nice and surface. Kyle says they went to Dolce and Gabbana. A waitress takes their drink orders, and Sutton tells the group she’s gained a few, and her clothes are tight. We see a clip of her refusing to come out while trying on clothes, and someone telling her not to cry. Sutton says she likes to see her outfits for herself, and likes to shop alone. LisaR says her mom used to not buy something until her dad okayed it; she wanted him to see it on her first. Dorit says it was because she wanted to though, not because it was imposed on her. Kyle asks what Lois thinks about LisaR’s dancing half-naked on Instagram, and LisaR says she does stuff on Instagram because Lois watches it. She’s always aware that Lois sees everything. She thinks it’s great for Lois. In Garcelle’s interview, she says dancing nearly naked is great, but it’s wouldn’t be a choice for her if her daughter had a body issue. LisaR says Lois got 500K likes on social media. They talk about the Ferraris, and Erika says they had a wine tasting. She explained to Denise how she felt about Aaron, and Denise apologized on his behalf, even though she didn’t have to. It was open and honest. Denise says Aaron has respect for them, and cares about them. In Teddi’s interview, she says, if Aaron felt that way, he had other options. Denise is full of sh*t. Denise says Aaron has no negative intentions toward any of them, and she was surprised. Kyle says, it’s better to talk about it and move on, like this bunch has ever moved on from anything. Denise says, next time, Aaron can apologize himself. He was surprised it was perceived as anything but diffusing the situation. In Denise’s interview, she says after what the women did to her in Rome, she doesn’t think an apology is coming. Aaron will say, f*** them. Kyle says, there’s nothing that can’t be talked through. She was anxious and crying last night, and Denise shouldn’t feel nervous. Denise says she’s not. She’s felt unwelcomed at times, but how can you not feel that way when you’re the one in the hotseat?. Dorit says they’re not attacking her. I don’t know what she calls it then, when everyone comes at you at once. Group telling-your-truth?

Dorit says it wasn’t an attack on Denise, but Denise says, there has to be a line. Garcelle wonders how they move beyond  this. In Garcelle’s interview, she says, Denise had so many things coming at her, she didn’t defend herself the right way. She needs to say how she feels about what was said, say she didn’t do it, they’re crazy, and move on. Teddi says she doesn’t know Brandi well, but she doesn’t know Denise well either, so she doesn’t know what to believe. Denise says she met Brandi when she got a call from a mutual branding agent who represented Brandi. He asked if the three of them could meet. We flash back to last season when she and Brandi had drinks, and they talked about when they met. Hmm… That’s interesting, since that means Brandi wanted to meet Denise. Denise says, Brandi kept asking her to do the podcast, Brandi flew up, then flew back to L.A. After that was when they’d spoken, and Brandi knew everything that was going on in the group. Kyle asks when this was; recently? Denise says it was before Kyle’s party. In pathetic Teddi’s interview, she says Denise claimed she hadn’t talked to Brandi before the party, and now she’s saying someone else is feeding Brandi information. Denise says Brandi knew about Santa Barbara; someone is sharing things with her. She knew about the little tiffs, and knew stuff Denise didn’t know. She shared personal stuff from people who were involved with the group that Denise won’t repeat. Erika says after what was said about Denise, she should share it, but Denise says Brandi might be lying, and she won’t do it. Brandi’s also said she’s had sex with every single woman who she’s come in contact with, including people in this group. Dorit laughs, but Denise says she’s not joking. Kyle asks if Denise is saying Brandi claimed to have had sex with someone sitting at the table, and Denise says, yes. Kyle says that would be either her or LisaR, and in her interview, she wonders why Denise didn’t say something last night. She doesn’t believe it. Well, maybe she was either so stunned, she couldn’t say much, or she didn’t want to stoop to Brandi’s level. LisaR says she never heard that, and Kyle says she’s struggling. Denise says Brandi said the same thing about her. In LisaR’s interview, she says, if Denise is trying to deflect, it’s not working. She tells Denise, she doesn’t think so. Don’t even put it out there.

🌬 I Hate You, Weather…

It’s late, or early depending on what side of it you’re on. While I’m thrilled the Isaias didn’t knock out the power completely, it’s still cutting in and out. So I’m cutting out. Hopefully, this will be over with soon, and I can be on the Internet without wondering if I’m suddenly going to be shut down. But for now, stay safe, stay tough , and stay speaking the truth, not just your version of it.

General Hospital

Inching ever close to something new, today’s GH Flashback is from May 12th, 2020. Here’s a quick look, or if you want more details than you can handle, go to:

https://tvwiththeresa.wordpress.com/2020/05/13/may-12-2020-nelle-discovers-a-secret-jax-has-a-sprained-brain-alex-goes-home-late-or-early/

At Charlie’s Brook told Julian, as long as he accommodated the occasion favor, she wouldn’t have to tell anyone that he’d tampered with Brad’s car and caused the accident. He asked if that was her idea of gratitude, and she said he’d helped pass off a stolen baby as his grandson. When Brad got squirmy, Julian had tried to silence him, and Lucas ended up in a coma. He should be grateful someone worse didn’t know his secret. Someone worse Nelle listened in from the back. Michael went to the MetroCourt with Willow, and told Sonny and Carly that Willow had agreed to marry him. Carly welcomed her to the family, and Willow said it was best for Wiley. Carly said it was best for all three of them, and Sonny asked when it was happening. Michael said he hoped tonight, and Sonny asked to speak with him privately. Lucy was making Sasha keep ice on her nose at The Floating Rib, saying Sasha had to be camera ready for the photo shoot tomorrow. The photographer was expensive, and already booked and paid for. Sasha said her cheeks were numb, but Lucy said they’d thaw. She hated that she’d agreed to a non-airbrushed shoot, and said she’d sue Brook if they had to reschedule. She told Sasha that she’d been where Sasha was, and understood what it was like to be labeled the town tramp. On the phone, Ned told Tracy that he was trying to salvage the Med Tech deal. He intended to carry on as CEO, but he couldn’t force Michael out. Monica came in, and asked what was going on. At the hospital, Trina told Portia that she felt better, but it was because Portia was a great mom, not because she despised Jordan any less. Portia said Jordan wasn’t responsible for what happened to Trina’s father. Trina said, no – he is. Cyrus came by, and Trina got in his face, saying she knew who he was. Cyrus said he was sorry about her father, but Trina wasn’t having it, and said someone had to stop him. Cyrus said there must be a misunderstanding, and Curtis appeared, telling Cyrus, back off. Stay the hell away from her. Cyrus said they hadn’t been introduced, but Curtis said Cyrus knew good and damn well he was Jordan’s husband, and he knew everything about Cyrus. He told Cyrus to play his game somewhere else, and stay the hell away from Trina and Portia. Cyrus said, for the record, Trina had come to him, and he thought there was no harm in offering his condolences. Jordan told Cyrus that they needed to discuss some things. Trina wondered why Curtis was butting in now when he’d left her father to die.

Monica asked if Brook had been arrested again, and Ned said she’d reached out to him, but he’d refused to rescue her. Monica told him, tough love could have unintended consequences; look at his mother and Edward. What if leaving Brook fend for herself made it worse? Sasha asked Lucy if she was being called a tramp, and Lucy said, who cares? People cheated all the time. Lucy said she was there for Sasha, and understood how a good person could find herself cheating. She’d hurt Doc, and it took time, but now they were friends. Doc was happy and she was successful. All’s well that ends well. Martin waited for Nelle, and mumbled that she was trying his patience. Where is that nut case? Brook asked if Julian would take her home, but he said he’d done enough for one day. His phone rang, and it was Leo calling from Olivia’s number. He said, Ned did what? and told Leo he’d be right there. He told Brook that she’d be getting a ride after all. Leo was upset, and said Ned had done something. They left, and Nelle called Martin. She said she was on her way, and he hoped whatever kept her was important; he was charging her for his time and his dinner. She said she had the feeling it would be useful. Carly told Willow that she was grateful Willow had agreed to marry Michael. She knew Willow wasn’t Wiley’s birth mother, but she’d been every bit his mother by her actions. She’d put Wiley first, and Carly couldn’t have picked someone better, but was it what Willow wanted? She knew Willow loved Chase. Willow flashed back to her and Chase moving in together. Sonny asked Michael if this was what he wanted, and Michael said Willow was the perfect stepmother for Wiley. Sonny said the marriage would last beyond the court date. Was Michael willing to live in a loveless marriage? Michael said love hadn’t worked out that well for him. He and Willow had been friends for some time. He liked and trusted her, and they both loved Wiley. Sonny asked if Michael thought that was enough, and Michael said he was doing what he had to for his son. Cyrus told Jordan, her husband was protective, and Jordan said, that was Curtis, but she didn’t need protecting. He said he remembered how capable she was, and thanked her for seeing justice had been served – even if it was years late. She told him that they were alone, and he didn’t have to keep up the act. He said he looked forward to her acting on his behalf, now that he was a resident of Port Charles.

Portia told Trina, it wasn’t Curtis’s fault her father had died, and she was grateful Curtis had saved her. Michael told Sonny that Willow had made sacrifices too, and Wiley was the most important thing. Nelle was a priority, but they could give Wiley stability, and a happy home with parents who respected one another. He was taking it as a win. Sonny said he’d make some calls to get a license. Monica told Ned that he’d done a wonderful job, and thanked him for stepping in while Michael cleared up the mess up with Wiley. Ned said, family looked after family; it was the Quartermaine way. Brook came in with Julian, who wondered where Leo was. Ned said he was sleeping upstairs, and Julian asked for Olivia. Monica said Olivia was also sleeping; she’d had a migraine, and Monica had given her something. Julian said Leo had called him all upset, saying Ned was being mean. He was sobbing. Ned said Leo was playing Julian. He and Olivia had told Leo that he couldn’t have a pet snake. Julian asked to have a chat with Leo, and went upstairs. Ned asked what the hell Brook was doing with Julian. Nelle joined Martin, who said she was just in time for the bill. She said they needed to talk strategy. She saw Sasha, and bugged her about cheating on Michael, saying poor Willow couldn’t catch a break. Jordan said Cyrus was right to say she served all the people in Port Charles, and he said he was sure their paths would cross again soon.

Trina told Portia, she’d begged Curtis to go back, but he refused, and now his wife was trashing her father’s reputation. Portia said she was glad Curtis had rescued Trina, and as much as they wished it wasn’t true, her father had crossed the line. Curtis said Jordan hadn’t wanted to do it, but Cyrus was dangerous, and Trina needed to steer clear of him. Trina said Jordan was the reason Cyrus was free in the first place. She and Curtis were just as bad as he was. Lucy said Sasha needed to brace herself; Michael was marrying Willow. Sonny just called her to officiate. Nelle said Michael couldn’t marry Willow, and Lucy said he could. He was from two families who were pillars of society, and a Spencer too. He could do whatever he wanted. Sasha flashed back to telling Chase that she thought Michael and Willow would get married, and in time, Willow would fall in love with Michael and be the happiest woman in the world. Lucy said, it must be important, but like it or not, Michael gets what he wants. She suggested Sasha go home and rest; she didn’t need the aggravation. Nelle stomped over to Martin. Brook told Ned, a loving father wouldn’t have hung up on her and left her to rot. He said, so she called Julian? and she said, he was the only one available. Ned wondered if Brook being arrested was going to be a regular occurrence, and she said she was defending Michael’s honor, when her boxing mitt accidentally collided with Sasha’s face. We flashed back to that, and Ned asked if Sasha was pressing charges and was it online already. Brook said, no and no. It would have been over, but Chase got on his high horse and wrote her a ticket. The doorbell rang, and it was Josslyn. Brook asked what was up, and Josslyn said Michael and Willow were getting married there tonight. Nelle told Martin, it was obvious what Michael was trying to do, but he said no one could object to Michael marrying a lovely woman he’d known for over a year. Nelle said they needed a counter move now, and told him to earn his money. Monica said she couldn’t be happier, and Ned said he could see it as a legal strategy, but didn’t see how it could work. Brook said Ned wasn’t in a position to give advice, since Tracy had blackmailed him into marrying Katherine Bell. Josslyn said Willow loved Wiley, and just might be good enough for Michael. Sonny, Carly, Michael, and Willow arrived, and Michael asked if they were ready for a wedding.

Curtis agreed that Cyrus should be in prison, but said Jordan had been serving the greater good. Jordan said she was sorry, and Portia told Trina that she had to calm down. She’d just tried to do battle with a dangerous criminal. Portia asked her to promise to stay away from Cyrus, and Trina said she would, if Portia promised Curtis and Jordan would stay away from her. Brook welcomed Willow to the family – God help her – and went to look for a dress for Willow to wear. Sonny thanked Monica, and she asked who was going to officiate. He told her, Lucy, and she asked if he couldn’t find anyone other than Alan’s ex-bimbo. Sonny asked why Julian was there, and Julian said his son lived there. He told Sonny to give Michael and Willow his best wishes. He loved Wiley, and Wiley deserved to be with them, not Nelle. Martin told Nelle that he’d present the best possible case, but Nelle said now Michael was marrying Snow White. He said he couldn’t prevent that any more than he could conjure up a husband for Nelle, and she called him a genius. He said he wasn’t going to marry her, and she said he didn’t have to. Michael asked how Willow was holding up. She told him that she wasn’t a fragile flower, and he said he knew that. He thanked her, and she said she loved Wiley. Now he’s going to be her son again, and she was the one who was grateful. He said mutual gratitude wasn’t a bad foundation, and gave her his great grandmother’s ring. He said he hadn’t known Lila well, but she was generous, kind, and saw the good in people, but was nobody’s fool. The bickering and fighting never touched her. She was a better wife than Edward deserved, and an amazing mother. Michael put the ring on Willow, and of course it was a perfect fit.

Sasha met Chase at the pier. She said it was hitting her hard; Michael and Willow were getting married tonight. Lucy brought the license to the Quartermaine mansion, and told Sonny the judge sent his best wishes. She told Sonny that there was a one-day waiting period, and Sonny said he loved a midnight wedding; technically, at midnight, it would be tomorrow. Carly brough Wiley down to join them. Sasha told Chase that Lucy got the call, but the toughest part was seeing Nelle. If not for her, this wouldn’t have to happen. Chase asked if Nelle knew about the wedding, and Sasha said Nelle overheard, and went zooming over to her lawyer, then left. She doubted Nelle could get past the gate, but thought Michael should be warned. Chase wondered who would take a call from them. Josslyn came downstairs with bouquet she’d miraculously whipped up. Carly’s phone rang, and she told Sasha that it wasn’t a good time. Sasha said Nelle knew Michael and Willow were getting married, and she thought they should have a heads up. Carly said, nothing was getting in the way of the wedding tonight.

Jordan told Curtis that Cyrus hadn’t left the hospital yet. They saw him come by, and Curtis told him visiting hours were over. Cyrus said he was on his way out, but asked if Jordan’s son didn’t work there. He believed TJ was working tonight. Curtis said it was none of his business, but Cyrus said his interests were far-reaching, and that shouldn’t be underestimated. Nelle banged on Charlie’s door. Julian said they were closed but she was insistent. When he answered, she told him that he’d want to hear what she had to say.

The ceremony started, Willow coming down the stairs in a gorgeous gown, that again fit her perfectly. Sasha and Chase had a beer, and Sasha asked if Chase knew where the phrase a far, far better thing came from. He didn’t, so she explained the plot of a Tale of Two Cities. She told him how Sidney had taken his lookalike’s place at the guillotine, and that as he went to his death, he said, it’s a far, far better thing I do than I have ever done before, and it’s a far, far better rest I go to than I have ever known. Chase said at least their heads weren’t being chopped off, and they toasted to Sidney

Michael and willow exchanged vows, and Lucy pronounced them husband and wife. They kissed, and everyone applauded.

👨🏾‍⚕️ It’s Only a Matter Of Time…

How much is still up in the air, but TJ is back at the hospital, wearing a mask off-stage now.

She says people don’t get her relationship with Mario. He lives in Florida full time, and when he comes to New York, they plan nights as a family. She and Avery love it. Mario tells Avery that he just got a flashback. Her mom was pregnant with her, and went to the ladies room, and her water broke. She came out, and said she thought they had to go, but Mario didn’t realize what was going on, and said they hadn’t had their entrée yet. Salvatore pours their wine, and says he remembers; he was in the kitchen when Ramona said she was having a baby. In her interview, Ramona says people don’t get it, and wonder how she can talk to Mario after what he did, but she had to let it go. Mario was angry at her after the divorce, but she worked on it for Avery’s sake, and they came together as a family. Ramona talks about her party, and says there aren’t going to be any men, since she’s not in a relationship. She asks Mario if he’s in a relationship, and he says, define relationship. She says someone you go out with every Saturday night, talk to every day, and look forward to seeing. Mario says, dating is a bitch, and Avery says, he’s working on his golf. In Ramona’s interview, she says Mario squirms when she asks if he’s seeing anyone, and says they’re just a friend. Men. Who can figure them out? Avery toasts to spending time together as people. She loves them. Ramona tells Mario to tell Avery that he loves her too, and he does.

Leah and sister Sarah go to Spa88. Leah says it’s one of the top best three places in the world for people watching. There are a lot of kooks, but it’s interesting. Sarah asks how the Berkshires was, and Leah says, Dorinda went above and beyond. Tinsley is gone, and it breaks Leah’s heart, but she’s getting her castle in the sky. We see a picture of Tinsley and Scott dressed up like a fairytale couple; the sisters can’t decide which one. In Leah’s interview, she says she needs to take notes. She needs a guy with money. She has to take care of a kid already, and can’t take care of another one. She needs a man to take care of her. She tells Sarah that she had a sweet moment with Ramona. We see a clip of Ramona telling Leah that she has to heal the relationship with her mother. Leah tells Sarah that wants to get closer to Bunny, and stop acting like a teenager around her. Sarah says, even when Bunny says something that seems nice, it’s coming from an internal projection. She’s screwed up, and can’t give Leah what she needs. In her interview, Leah says it’s time to take things into her own hands and put in the work. Sarah says Bunny doesn’t like them, and Leah asks if she said that. Sarah blesses herself, and says God forgive her; she’s so mad. Bunny said Leah was looking fake in the face, and wondered how it was going to affect poor Kier. Leah says she only had her lips and Botox done, but now she’s getting a whole overhaul. In her interview, she says she thinks an apology is not on the table anymore. Bunny has some explaining to do. She asks if she can say Sarah told her, and Sarah says she’s all for full transparency.

Ramona weeps with joy when she sees Scarpetta fully transformed. Leah visits Dorinda. Sonja tells assistant Matthew that she’s stressed. She rented out her apartment, and is paying the overhead on the townhouse, where the toilet doesn’t work, and the elevator is still broken. It’s costing $50K a month, and she can’t get ahead. Dorinda tells Leah, something is going on with Sonja. She was kicked out of a bar in Philly. Leah says she saw Page Six. In Dorinda’s interview, she says she and LuAnn went to Philadelphia to hear Sonja speak at Wharton. We see a clip of Sonja telling the students to be themselves. Go for their passion, and they’ll find their way if they follow their heart. Dorinda says they went home, and Sonja stayed. Sonja got kicked out of a gay bar, and she wishes they’d stayed. Leah says, after the Berkshires, she felt she and Sonja were in a good place. She feels bad that Sonja is going through some sh*t. Sonja says she can’t afford live there, and tells a guy named Mike that she put in cheap rugs, so it can easily be redone. In her interview, she says she’s looking to redo everything in white, black, and brass; it’s what renters want. She’s filling house the house with tsotchkes again, and getting ready for a potential renter. It’s never-ending stress. Elyse drops by Dorinda’s, and Dorinda says they were talking about Sonja. Leah tells Elyse that Sonja got thrown out of a gayborhood bar Philly, after singing Hello Dolly. Geez, was it that bad? Sonja tells Mike, she’s a fan of, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, but was told the place looked dated and old lady. The toilet starts running, and she says this is the third time she’s fixed it. Elyse says she took Ramona out to lunch for her real birthday, and Leah says she’s sick of Ramona’s judgement. Ramona told her to make sure to wear something where not everything was falling out. Elyse suggests she wear something with everything falling out. Dorinda says she has exactly what Leah should wear, and goes into her bedroom. Elyse tells Leah, everyone is supposed to wear black, and she’s sure Ramona will be in a bright color. In her interview, Leah says she can’t believe Ramona is concerned about what she’s wearing. Who cares? Dorinda brings out a pair of lacy tap pants and matching bra, and gives them to Leah. In Leah’s interview, she says she’s wearing what she wants to; she’s not listening to Ramona. She says she heard Ramona stopped following Elyse, and says that’s being a mean girl. Ramona has the mean girl juvenile side, and then there’s the amazing Ramona side. Elyse says, Ramona doesn’t mean to be hurtful. Dorinda says Ramona knows exactly what she’s doing, and Elyse is giving an excuse for Ramona sh*tting on her. She’s an unaccountable bitch. In Dorinda’s interview, she says Elyse has Stockholm Syndrome. She likes to be battered by Ramona. Dorinda goes back into her bedroom, and comes out wearing a cocktail dress with a fake front that has humongous boobs. Leah says Dorinda has to wear it.

Ramona arrives at Scarpetta in what she calls red, but I call bright pink. Her sister Tanya is with her. In her interview, Ramona says she’s excited about the party. Everyone who’s important to her is there, including her sister, who lives upstate, so it’s difficult for her to visit. Sonja picks up LuAnn, and asks why Ramona tries to be cool by having her parties downtown, when everyone lives uptown? I wonder, if you can afford a limo, what difference does it make? Sonja says she didn’t want to come, since she wasn’t invited to last year’s party. We flash back to mutual friend Lucia asking Ramona if she wants to invite Sonja, and Ramona saying, no. Sonja says they were all at her baby shower, and her kid is 19 now. They were her longtime friends. In LuAnn’s interview, she says, Sonja has been agitated lately. Ramona saying she has 50 friends is a trigger. We flash back to Ramona telling Sonja, without these 50 women, she wouldn’t be where she is today, and Sonja saying, STFU. Sonja tells LuAnn that these are Ramona’s social friends.

The text at the bottom of the screen counts Ramona’s friends as they appear. Sonja has a price tag hanging from her dress, and LuAnn suggests she take it off. Sonja says she never has time, and then can’t find the scissors. She asks one of the staff for a knife. In Ramona’s interview, she says her so-called real friends didn’t pay attention to the dress code, and the friends who they said weren’t her read friends wore black. She can feel the love in the room, and she’s tickled red. Leah shows up in a sheer black number. Sonja is in rainbow sequins, and in her interview, she says, who wears black to a party? Not at her age. She’s sparkling. At this point, we’re up to #32. Leah says they’re off to a great start to a probably amazing evening. She leaves her coat on, and waits for Ramona to notice her, but Ramona is too busy babbling to her not friends social friends. In her interview, Leah says, bitch, where‘s the bar?

We hit #50. Leah tells Elyse, all she’s hearing about is people who are on the board of some foundation; it’s like Dynasty. She stood near Ramona to say happy birthday, but Ramona isn’t acknowledging her. Ramona tells Dorinda. Larry pulled it together. Leah tells Ramona, happy birthday, and Ramona makes a fuss over Leah’s dress. She tells Leah how hot she looks, and says if men were there, she’d tell Leah to put on a slip. In Leah’s interview, she says it’s a Norma Kamali dress with a body suit attached to it. It’s form fitting, not revealing. Ramona wonders why Sonja’s been so quiet, and LuAnn thinks maybe she’s embarrassed about getting kicked out of the piano bar. Dorinda says Sonja hasn’t spoken a word to her in days, and she’s worried about her. LuAnn says Sonja has some kind of sadness going on. In LuAnn’s interview, she says, Sonja is going off the rails with her drinking. Normally, she can reel it in, but the string on her fishing pole is going way out, with no fish in sight. Ramona jumps on Sonja, who spins her around. Sonja swears that she didn’t know about the black thing, and Ramona says she wants Sonja to look however she wants. It’s her birthday soon too. Let’s shine. In Sonja’s interview, she says the birthday Ramona is talking about will never be celebrated. She doesn’t even know the day. Dorinda tells the women that she thought it would be a great idea for them to take a week in Mexico; they need a girls trip, and Leah has never been on one. I guess Rhode Island didn’t count? LuAnn reminds everyone of the gift that keeps on giving – her falling in the bushes on their last trip to Mexico. Ramona tells Leah not to throw any torches. We flash back to that, and in Leah’s interview, she says she wishes Ramona would let it go. She already has to deal with her real mother not liking her. Now she has to deal with mommy dearest.

Ramona takes the mic, and says all the women there have helped her in so many ways. She sold her apartment in June, and was getting depressed. On Sunday, she would think, oh my God, I’m alone, and that she’d never have a man in her life. Because of them, she realized she loved herself. Dorinda interjects that she gave Ramona a dildo for that. Ramona pretty much ignores the remark, and says the party is a celebration of all of them. They mean so much to her. She gets weepy, and in Sonja’s interview, she says, it’s the same old speech every year. Now can they get back to drinking with the 99 other women? Dorinda takes Sonja aside, and says she feels like they’ve gotten close. She thinks Sonja is a strong beautiful woman, and a deserving soul; her kindness abounds. She thinks Sonja is suffering, and worries about her. When she doesn’t hear from Sonja in four days, she wonders what’s going on. Sonja says she’s stressed, and Dorinda says the townhouse is a burden. LuAnn sits with them, and Sonja says she hides when she’s going through something. LuAnn says she’s worried about Sonja too. In Dorinda’s interview, she says she and Sonja have developed a good relationship, and there’s something Sonja isn’t communicating. It’s not criticism; she’s concerned. She can’t help Sonja if she doesn’t know what Sonja needs. Sonja starts to cry, and Dorinda says that’s good; she’s letting it out. Ramona comes over, and Sonja asks if she embarrassed Ramona by what she’d said. Ramona ignores the question, and shows off her new purse, saying her girls got for her.

Sonja tells Ramona, the purse is ugly as sh*t; exchange it. In her interview, Ramona says, it’s not like she hasn’t thrown Sonja a party before; she’s thrown her two of them. We flash back to the surprise parties that Ramona threw for Sonja. Ramona says today is about her. She’s allowed to throw a party just for her, isn’t she? Leah asks, what’s going on? and Sonja tells Lucia that Ramona disinvited her last year, and she knew Lucia before Ramona. Ramona tells Dorinda that Sonja is starting an argument, and she doesn’t want to argue. It’s her birthday. Sonja yells, it’s actually her birthday. In Leah’s interview, she says she doesn’t often agree with Ramona, but let her have one night. Leave the drama at home for one night. Ramona tells the keyboardist to play a dance song. Whatever he plays, doesn’t sound like dance music to me, but everyone starts dancing. LuAnn takes a selfie with Dorinda and Ramona, and says, photo bomb, apparently not understanding what that means. In Leah’s interview, she says she’s all about girl power, but with all the palm trees and reds, it looks like the beginning of MILF porn. Leah starts giving LuAnn a lap dance, and pulls up her dress. Dorinda and Elyse grind along behind her. Tanya tells Ramona, it looks like they’re having sex, and LuAnn puts a giant flower on Leah’s head. Ramona tells them to stop, pulling Leah’s dress down, saying she’s dancing like a stripper. Leah says she was just joking around, and Dorinda says, it’s funny. Ramona tells Leah that she has a run in her stocking. I don’t know if that’s supposed to be code or a euphemism for something, since Leah isn’t wearing stockings. In Ramona’s interview, she says Leah is embarrassing her, and she’s embarrassed for her. She tells Leah, calm down; 100 women are there. I knew that number would end up changing. Leah says she was just having fun, and Ramona stomps off, looking for the producer. She wants this shut down. Leah yells that Ramona is being effing psychotic. In Dorinda’s interview, she says, Leah can’t do anything right. Ramona is just waiting to pounce on her for anything. Sonja jumps on a table, and dances on a mirrored tray, shattering it as she dances. Leah squeals, wooooo! Ramona barks at the producer, saying she’s quitting the show. She’s done.

Next time, Ramona says Sonja is becoming a liability, Leah says Ramona is a terrible person, Ramona says someone is bi-polar, LuAnn’s luggage vibrates at the airport, and the Cancun vacation begins.

💡 Just a Thought…

On RHOBH last night, Kyle said Brandi was a lot of things, but not a liar. Well, besides Kyle being dumb as a box of rocks to begin with, wasn’t Brandi talking earlier about how she spread the rumor that Adrienne used a surrogate? And what about the time she insisted Kim was on crack? Yeah. She definitely has the reputation of telling the truth.

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Today’s GH Nurse’s Ball flashback moved ahead to May 17th, 2018. The nurses opened with Everyday People, a happy coincidence, since it’s what everyone needs to hear today. Olay got the plugs, and Carly was in jail for pushing Nelle down the stairs. Chase did one of my favorite Ball numbers ever with Feel It Still, channeling Dick Tracy. Even better, he’d been fooled into thinking it was a group number, and found himself to be a solo act. Curtis did a magic act, with Nina as his assistant. Old Jordan was his audience volunteer, and he turned a silver dollar into an engagement ring, proposing on stage, and asking her to believe in their magic. She said yes.

Maxie was still pregnant, and was concerned about the baby’s activity, but Kim said he or she probably just wanted to party. Valentin told Peter to calm down about Anna, and Anna got a message to come to Pier 55 at midnight, and come alone. Sam got caught sneaking around Peter’s office, but told the janitor (or whoever he was) that she was there doing work. Maxie told Peter the loss of Nathan was hitting her hard after the proposal, and Sonny thanked Robin for recognizing what was going on with Mike. Dante was still normal and there with Lulu, and said the joke was on him for telling Chase it was a group act. Lulu said it was karmic justice that Chase was super talented, but Dante didn’t want to go that far. Much to everyone’s relief, Mac and Mr. Marbles were stranded out of town, and Lucy moved up the presentation of the first annual Port Charles Pioneer Award. Molly took the mic, and said the first recipient was her hero, role model, and mom, but Alexis was too busy listening in on Finn and Anna backstage to realize it was her cue. Because he mistakenly thought Anna was dying, Finn told her that he still cared for her, and didn’t want anything to happen to her without knowing that. Valentin tried to get Nina out of town for the vacation of a lifetime, really an escape, and Sam found Faison’s lighter on Peter’s desk. I’m hoping they show the episode where Mike and Sonny sing Summer Wind. I could use a good cry.

Let me say as I’ve always said, and I will always continue to say, that riots are socially destructive and self-defeating. But in the final analysis, a riot is the language of the unheard. And what is it that America has failed to hear? It has failed to hear that the plight of the Negro poor has worsened over the last few years. It has failed to hear that the promises of freedom and justice have not been met. And it has failed to hear that large segments of white society are more concerned about tranquility and the status quo than about justice, equality, and humanity. And so in a real sense, our nation’s summers of riots are caused by our nation’s winters of delay. What I Watched Today

General Hospital

Today’s GH flashback continued with the 2017 Nurses Ball – May 24th, 2017 to be exact. Sonny had found out that the 700 mg of lithium Morgan was supposed to be taking was only 300 mg, but Andre told him everything checked out on the pharmacy’s end. Sonny said he was going to find out one way or the other, and Andre had another test run. There was a fabulous rendition of Brave, and more plugs for Burt’s Bees. Kristina and Valerie did pretty much a full-blown commercial for their lip products. Nina said Valentin couldn’t leave Anna alone, and Valentin told Anna that she’d turned him into a stuttering fool again. Drew (thinking he’s Jason) told Elizabeth about the necklace, but she couldn’t figure out where Jake had gotten it, since he didn’t have money to go out and buy jewelry. Curtis suggested Nina walk away from Valentin, but she wasn’t sure she could. Lucy said Obrecht couldn’t perform, but she had someone just as good, and Valentin sang to Nina, accompanying himself on the piano. Jake told Elizabeth that he didn’t want to do the magic act, but was afraid something bad would happen if he didn’t. Carly wondered why Sonny was there, and what he wanted with Ava; and Andre told Sonny that he thought Morgan might have gotten a placebo, which would explain his erratic behavior and loss of control. Sonny deduced that someone tampered with Morgan’s meds because they wanted him to have a breakdown. Scotty told Ava that he’d covered her tracks, and Sonny would never find out, and Ava insisted she hadn’t wanted anything bad to happen. Morgan had been volatile and erratic, and she’d needed to protect Kiki. He told her none of it mattered, since Morgan was dead and it was over.

Michael was by Nelle’s bedside in the hospital (they were still together), and he spoke to Josslyn on the phone, encouraging her to sing. She did, and he listened in. Nelle woke up, and Michael said, surprise. Jake decided against doing the act, and Franco said Jake could do a command performance at home. Backstage, Emma and Charlotte decided they could do the act themselves, while Anna accused Valentin of wanting his past buried. He said she did it; why couldn’t he? She pumped him for information about the Chimera (boy, did I get the name of that wrong yesterday – it was a DVX bioweapon), and he said the only other person who knew about it was dead. She wouldn’t let it go, until he finally told her that he’d sold it to Helena. Thinking the Chimera had something to do with Jake’s magic act, Charlotte tried opening it, and pressed either the right or wrong button, depending on whose side your on. Carly asked Sonny why he showed up, and he said he was finally getting some answers.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Oh why not? They can’t make the week any worse.

Garcelle was being honored with a Legacy Vision Award for her work with the L.A. Mission. Growing up impoverished in Haiti, she said it’s a cause she identifies with, and she wasn’t passive/aggressive, like Teddi, in asking the women to come. She picked LisaR up, who informed her that Denise said she didn’t want her kids hearing grown-up sex talk. Garcelle told LisaR that she understood how Denise felt. They discussed Kyle’s many inadequacies, and Garcelle said Kyle is always all about Kyle, which I certainly don’t disagree with. At the event, Kyle seemed annoyed that Denise showed up like nothing was wrong when their last meeting hadn’t been a good one. I guess she should have blown into a public event on a broomstick, hurling fireballs (and not the good kind) at everyone. Garcelle thanked her kids, and said her calling was to reach people, and let them know she cared. In her interview, she talked about her oldest son Oliver, who fell in with a bad crowd as a young man, but was doing well now. She also thanked her new best friends, some not so much, indicating the table of Wives and friends. LisaR insisted that Garcelle had locked eyes with Kyle when she said that last part. Erika missed the whole speech, since she was in the bathroom, but Garcelle was gracious about it, telling Erika that she’d better not miss it when she gets her Oscar. In Garcelle’s interview, she said she was glad Kyle showed up, but showing up for charities are what they do in L.A., so was it nice or what Kyle does? In Denise’s interview, she said she didn’t have the energy to deal with bullsh*t tonight, since she had tons of dialogue to learn, and had to be at work at 6 am. Since it’s all about Kyle, Kyle claimed Denise wanted to run away. 6 am? Are you kidding? I wouldn’t have gone at all. In LisaR’s interview, she said there was an issue that needed a resolution, but Denise was avoiding it. LisaR thought part of Denise was regretful about her own openly sexual talk (again, not understanding the difference in audience), and Denise was compensating by being overly protective of her kids – stupid, even for LisaR. As soon as Denise left, they talked about her. Garcelle said she felt uneasy when leaving Erika’s, and felt everything was surface with the group. She also believed Kyle wasn’t present with her, and that she was more interested in what Kyle had to say than vice versa. In her interview, Garcelle said when Kyle is interested in someone, she’s a great friend. Ask Teddi, not Dorit.

Denise and Aaron went out to eat, and Denise told him what happened in Santa Barbara, and how Teddi was saying she’s making them look bad. Aaron suggested Teddi STFU, and in her interview, Denise said her kids already have baggage from being the children of Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen. They didn’t need her friends adding to it. She told Aaron, LisaR calling her a hypocrite hurt the most. In Denise’s interview, she said LisaR never voiced any of her concerns before; why now? We flashed back to LisaR asking if Denise talked to the girls about Charlie’s hookers. Denise wondered why it took LisaR all these years to say it, and why she said all of it in front of the group.

Kyle had a barbecue, where we met Sutton’s boyfriend Michael. On the way there, Denise and Aaron talked in the limo about deciding not to bring the kids, and thought about blowing off Kyle’s altogether and just going to a restaurant. When they got there, Denise said the older kids had sleepovers, and Eloise had a playdate, but she joked to Garcelle that she didn’t want them within earshot. This miffed Kyle, who said in her interview, it was like a slap in the face. Denise said she and Aaron needed to have time away from the kids too, and the last time she was with the group, she was bombarded with questions. Garcelle, who seems to be the only one without a gang mentality, said Denise wasn’t a hypocrite; she was compartmentalizing when the kids were around. Teddi said Denise was making them look bad, like they need any help in that area. Aaron said it was ridiculous, and asked what the issue was, but the conclusion seemed to be, there wasn’t any. In Dorit’s interview, she whined about PK wanting to defend her in the past, and thought Aaron should know his audience. Dorit is too stupid to understand how funny her choice of words is, since the argument is about knowing your audience when it comes to adult conversation. Erika wondered if Denise was more concerned about the kids’ friends being there, and LisaR pumped Denise about Sami’s reaction, which Denise said was between her and Sami. We flashed back to Sami saying she and her friends laughed about it, but that’s not the point. It still might have been embarrassing, and who wants to think about their mother and her friends having threesomes, and my God now my friends know too. Aaron said, so there’s no issue, right? and Kyle said, women handle things differently. Aaron wanted to know why they continue to harp on something, and I wish him luck finding that out. It’s been my question for years, and why I hate reunions. An ongoing stupidity is finally put to bed, and then it gets rehashed and the animosity rekindled. Garcelle said it was Denise’s right to not bring the kids, but Kyle said it felt passive/aggressive. She ought to know since she’s buddies with the queen of it. Aaron asked Kyle to define passive/aggressive, and she said Denise was mom shaming. Aaron said the issue was becoming something it shouldn’t be – again something I’ve said for years – and LisaR decided to go down the blow-up kiddie slide, since she wasn’t dealing with this bullsh*t. Aaron asked what any of this does for them. How does it make them feel? and Kyle said, it’s not comfortable. In Kyle’s interview, she told us Denise was saying she’s above them as a mom, and it’s the thing Kyle is best at, so she’s offended. No. Denise said she doesn’t want her kids listening to adult conversations. She didn’t tell anybody else what to do with their kids, and she had to say something, since the women are involved. Denise told Teddi that she wasn’t upset, and Teddi pointed out that Denise was dropping F-bombs. Aaron said they engage to win, and might as well high-five each other. Denise said Teddi is a sh*t-effing-stirrer, and when they got a facial together in Santa Barbara, she was sh*tting on Dorit. Teddi said, in Santa Barara, when Denise told them she was done talking, that meant she was pissed. We flashed back to Denise saying she was done with the conversation at dinner. Denise told Teddi, that was after two hours of talking about it. She was done. Denise said they’d crossed line, and she and Aaron were leaving. As they walked out, Aaron said the women were off his Christmas card list, and Denise told him not to say anything while they were on camera. Kyle and Sutton trotted after them, and Kyle said she didn’t want them leave like that. Teddi was still complaining that the implication makes them look bad. Denise told Kyle, thanks for having them, as she and Aaron fast walked to the car, and Kyle said she felt bad. Give it a minute, Kyle. It will pass.

Later this season, dancing, falling, falling while dancing; Camille is back, and calls someone an a-hole; a trip to Rome; Garcelle says, they’re going to drop everything negative (hahahahaha!); Brandi makes her presence known by being the disgusting person that she is; Denise disappears; Garcelle calls LisaR the bad guy in this movie; and Denise and LisaR have an ominous looking lunch.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Today’s flashback GH brought another day of the 2014 Nurse’s Ball, from May 14th, 2014. Blackie Parrish (aka John Stamos) didn’t show, so Brad took his place. Maxie was dating that Australian dude who was a cast member for a hot minute, but starting to fall for Nathan. Yoplait was mentioned a thousand times as a sponsor, and old Nikolas was there with young Spencer, who was in love with even younger Emma. Mac brought out Mr. Marbles, who Epiphany stomped into oblivion, much to the delight of the audience, and fake Luke was thwarted from stealing Tracy’s ELQ shares by Ned. Emma and Cameron did the tango, as everyone remembered Duke and Anna the year before. Spencer interrupted their performance by introducing Player, who sang Baby, Come Back, his plea to Emma.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Kyle invited the women to a house she’d rented in Santa Barbara. Garcelle had other plans, and Denise was late, due to filming The Bold and the Beautiful, where she was playing a bitch and loving it. In delicate flower Dorit’s interview, she was upset because Kyle had told her to STFU, and she thought that kind of stuff in a friendship made it uneasy. Really? Kyle was annoyed with the couples therapy remark, since what she and Teddi did was more akin to a Yoga class. For some reason, it bothers everyone that Kyle is closer to Teddi than she is to the rest of them. I have no clue why anyone cares, much less why Dorit keeps demanding Kyle admit it. While I never hung out in a large core friends group, I can’t imagine everyone is equally close. Why is this some deceptive affront? When Teddi arrived, she said she had to go potty real quick, and I thought, that’s a woman with children. It’s really hard to take care of kids all the time, and not consistently phrase things like you’re talking to them. In Erika’s interview, she said Kyle had hurt her feelings – we flashed back to Kyle questioning whether Erika had any good friends – but she wasn’t throwing away their friendship over a bad night. However, there were only so many bad nights she was going to tolerate.

Kyle said she had great memories of her dad, who lived in Santa Barbara after her parents divorced, and thought it was one of the reasons she loved the city so much. Manager Kate welcomed them to the house, and they cruised around in some kind of vehicles that looked like golf carts, but were really double bicycles, with pedals on both the driver’s and passenger’s sides. Dorit wondered why she had to get [stuck with] the pregnant one (i.e. Teddi). When it turned into a race, Erika asked why everything had to be a contest in this group. Although I’m not a fan, it was a good point.

Before Denise’s arrival, the women dickered over confronting her, saying her objection to their adult conversation in front of the kids was hypocritical. I actually made a blech noise when I saw LisaR’s face as Denise sat down. It was that duck suck-it face Max made when they opened the cupcake shop on 2 Broke Girls, but without being intentionally funny. When they got back to their crib, Kyle wondered why no one wanted to look at the gorgeous view with her. Probably because they were too busy prepping to be mean old girls. Moron A-hole Ridiculous bitch LisaR broached the threesome subject to Denise by asking her about filming Wild Things. In her interview, Erika sarcastically said, thank God there were no children around; tender ears. God help me. If I ever see any of these cretinous wretches on the street, I’ll be going to jail. I’m not a prude by any stretch of the imagination, but it doesn’t take one to understand there’s a difference between being in an adult atmosphere and a home party where there are children present and within earshot. I had to sit on my Twitter impulse through the whole show. Denise said she didn’t think her daughters had seen the film, but in her interview, LisaR was certain they must have. Once again, she couldn’t fathom anything outside of her own experience, saying that her daughters had seen everything of hers, and read the sex manual she’d authored. She didn’t mention that her daughters, especially Amelia, don’t seem nearly as well-adjusted as Denise’s kids. Yes. I went there, since LisaR clearly has a double-standard. God forbid anyone criticizes her parenting, yet she’s very free with advice for Denise. Denise couldn’t figure out why they didn’t get it either. Sutton suggested not inviting the kids if there might be adult conversation. If I had been Denise, I’d have suggested not inviting Sutton, but Denise stayed gracious. She told Sutton, it was her home, and she’d do what she damn well pleased, but in a nicer way.

The not-close friends Kyle and Teddi rehashed everything after the others went to bed. Teddi said, even though Denise claimed she didn’t care and it was no big deal, she’d brought it up multiple times, so she did care. She told Kyle that Denise must be bringing it up to make them feel bad. Since actual facts don’t matter, neither one of them bothered noticing that while Denise did mention it privately to two people, after that, someone else brought it up every time. What is wrong with these women?

At breakfast, LisaR wanted everyone to quit pussy-footing around, and get whatever was bubbling under the surface, out in the open. Dorit brought up something from forever ago, Erika jumped on the Memory Lane bandwagon, and I fully expected the return of Puppygate. Teddi accused Dorit of dragging her into it every time Dorit had an issue with Kyle, and shading her.

Since LisaR’s real goal was to continue haranguing Denise, she told Denise that she was uncomfortable about the conversation that went down, and didn’t like how Denise shut down the threesome dialogue. LisaR said Denise was using the kids to make them feel bad. The one who says kids are off limits. Erika thought Denise was being judgy, and LisaR said she was being contradictory. Erika said Denise inferred they were bad moms, even though she was very free with her own sex talk. LisaR squeaked that Denise had to own it, and asked if Denise talked to her daughters about the hookers in Charlie’s life. In Denise’s interview, she wondered what LisaR’s agenda was, since they’d been friends for twenty years. LisaR knew how fiercely she protected the kids, and it was hurtful. LisaR told the women, there were hurt feelings, and it was good to address it. to which the response was a roomful of crickets. What really creeps me out is, they all act like it’s about honesty and making things right, but their faces tell a different story. After revealing what they deem as truth, but is really an opinion, there’s always this look of triumph, like they’ve won something. So far, the only appropriate prize would be a kick in their Spanxed rear ends.

Next time, Garcelle is honored at the Mission Gala, Denise tells Aaron about the women confronting her, Denise calls Teddi a sh*t-effing-stirrer, and Denise and Aaron leave a party early.

💋 Did She Or Didn’t She…?

I wouldn’t blame Denise if she walked and never looked back. Although I can’t say she wasn’t given fair warning last season, this gang mentality is not a good look.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Today’s GH was the start of the Nurse’s Ball 2014. We were treated to an Obrecht takeover, treating us with Kathleen Gati singing WIlkommen from Cabaret. It looks like the entire week will be dedicated to episodes from the 2014 and 2015 yearly event.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht

Avlaki, Corfu. Glenn asks to talk to Nicole, and explains that two crew members saw a guest with white powder under their nose. He wanted to speak to Nicole first, but says he’s obligated to get to get to the bottom of it. If there are drugs on board, it will be the end of the charter. He hopes that’s not the case, but says it was confirmed that the crew members definitely saw something. His next step is to talk to Billy; maybe he has a logical explanation. In Glenn’s interview, he says he could easily lose his license, or go to jail. Glenn tells Billy that a couple of crew members saw evidence of white powder under his nose. Billy says his hand to God, on his mother’s grave, he didn’t bring drugs onto the boat. Madison and Jenna listen in, while Georgia sings in the laundry room. Glenn asks if he can see Billy’s cabin, and if Madison will be a witness. In his interview, Glenn says he found a guest smoking a joint once, plucked it out of their mouth, and tossed it into the sea. If the authorities find drugs on board, it’s a big deal.

Glenn looks through Billy’s bags, and asks if there’s anything Billy doesn’t want him to find. Billy says he has nothing to hide. Glenn comes across some Gold Bond powder, and Billy says he’s not snorting that. Nicole tells another guest, this is so uncomfortable. Glenn says he didn’t find anything, and apologizes. In his interview, Glenn says he’s disappointed, but it sent a message. If there’s anything left, hopefully Billy has the sense to get rid of it. It’s not like he tossed the room. He just checked through some semi-packed bags.

Billy tells roommate Nicholas about the search, and wonders who the crew members were. What’s of interest here is, Nicolas immediately asks if Billy had anything. Billy says, no, but why would Nicholas ask if it wasn’t a possibility? Nicole says, it was intense. Jenna tells the other stews to keep them drinking. In Jenna’s interview, she says she made an observation, and was under obligation to tell Glenn. She didn’t relish ruining the guests’ vacation. Nicole says she just wants not to be stressed. In her interview, Jenna says she wanted to go out on a high note, but it’s going to be an awkward note at best. Glenn tells her there’s not much he can do, and she says it puts a damper on the last charter. Glenn tells Chris that he didn’t find anything, so he’s going to leave it there.

Jenna tells Madison there’s a bad vibe after the investigation. Madison brings Nicole a drink, and  tells her to just breathe in, breathe out, and enjoy lunch. In Adam’s interview, he says, the guests are pissed, crew morale is in the dumps, and it sucks when the last charter goes sour. He has to kill it. Ooh, ceviche. I’ve never had it, but I’ve been dying to try it since I saw it on Shahs of Sunset (and where is that reunion anyway?) Adam serves the guests. Billy says he’s not hungry, and pouts. Jenna tells the guests, the sailing will be from 3 to 6, and afterwards, they’ll have the Greek party.

In Madison’s interview, she says, it’s an utter disaster. Get them drunk, get them fed, get them off the boat, and get the tip. Glenn asks her how the guests are doing, and she says they’re happy. Not so Billy, who decides to stomp up to the bridge and confront the captain. He says he gets that Glenn is doing his job, and it’s a serious thing, but he’s offended. Glenn apologizes, but says they have a blanket zero-tolerance policy. Just because he didn’t find anything, doesn’t mean it’s not on board. Billy says he was pretty effing drunk last night, but that was it, and his effing luxury vacation is now ruined. Please. First of all, boo-hoo that ten minutes was taken out of his luxury vacation because at best, he was acting stupid. And I don’t believe this guy wasn’t/isn’t on something. I’ve pretty much seen it all, and I’ve never seen anyone act like he does when they’re drunk. That dude was high. Billy says, there’s nothing there, and nothing was. He doesn’t know how to deal with this. In Glenn’s interview, he says he would hate for the season to implode when they’re this close to the finish line. A charter is always remembered by the ending. Billy stomps back to the deck.

Glenn calls Ciara, Paget, and Byron to the wheelhouse to talk about the regatta. He says if they want the charter to be a success, put on a big smile and happy faces. They have to sell it, and have the opportunity to finish on a high note. Glenn shows them the game plan, and they get ready to start. The course is set up, and Byron drives one boat, taking Billy (lucky him); and Paget drives the other boat with Nicholas. In Chris’s interview, he says he spent his childhood racing, and it’s heartbreaking. He wants to be out there. In Byron’s interview, he says, of course he’s stuck with the guy who was searched. He hopes Billy doesn’t get pissed off more. A third watch boat goes out, with a few guests, including Nicole. Paget gets a slow start, and the boats race around markers. Byron’s boat goes totally sideways, and into the water. He manages to right the boat, but team Paget wins. In his interview, Byron says he wants to punch Paget. Glenn says, good race, and Billy says, awesome, apparently forgetting his luxury vacation was ruined.

In Adam’s interview, he says, after the awkwardness, the guests’ vibe is getting better. It’s all about the food, and he has no room for mistakes. The guests put on togas and Greek themselves up. Ciara takes what my dad used to call a Navy bath, basically just splashing water on her armpits. Paget tells Byron that he hasn’t gotten Ciara anything for her birthday yet. In the crew mess, Paget tells Ciara, happy birthday, and Georgia looks at them like she hates them. In her interview, Georgia says she has feelings for Paget (don’t we have feelings about everything? that sounds so stupid to me), and the closer they get to the end of the season, she realizes she has to say something. In Ciara’s interview, she says, the season is almost over, and she’s looking for much needed time away from the crew. Madison and Georgia do a happy dance over their last turndown.

A Greek buffet is served. Adam sings, last meal of the season. Billy deigns to eat. Jenna tells Adam that the guests are happy. Nicole says the only thing that could make it better, would be someone rubbing her feet. I’m surprised a crew member doesn’t pop out and do it. In Jenna’s interview, she says she’s trying to do everything she can to make it better, but under the circumstances, she doesn’t know if it’s enough. It’s not a good way to go out.

Glenn tells Ciara, happy birthday. In Glenn’s interview, he says he sees the finish line. They need to keep it going; keep doing their best. The guests toddle out, and Adam makes breakfast. Nicole says she’d definitely charter the boat again, so evidently she couldn’t care less that Billy’s luxury vacation is ruined. Georgia says she’s going to be getting on an airplane so fast, and Madison says she wants to cry. Georgia tells Madison, if Jenna cries, it’s because she threw a rock at her. Paget says they’re all like old men, limping around the boat. The boat is carrying more dead weight than Byron’s jokes.

It’s finally time to say goodbye. Nicole floats off on a cloud of alcohol after giving Glenn the tip envelope. Glenn honks the horn, per tradition. In Paget’s interview, he says, they did it. And if they can do what they just did, the sky’s the limit. Jenna tells the stews that they need to get the boat fresh and ready for whatever she does next. Adam and Jenna talk about going to Venice. Georgia and Madison eat like madwomen in the crew mess. In Madison’s interview, she says she can’t be happier. Jenna joins them, and Georgia says she’s never worked with this big a crew before. Jenna thinks it went well. There were some things that pushed her over the edge more than usual. She says they joked around, but she doesn’t personally mind. Georgia asks if that’s because Jenna is the one doing the bullying. Jenna asks if Georgia thinks she doesn’t get bullied. In her interview, Georgia gives a surreptitious middle finger. Georgia says Jenna makes jokes at other people’s expense, and was having personal jokes with Adam in the galley. Jenna says, to be honest, it was her frustration coming out. She did think there were a lot of stupid questions, so she’d vent to Adam. Georgia says if there were questions, it was because she wasn’t familiar with the field. There wasn’t one day when she didn’t work her ass off. Jenna says she doesn’t disagree, and Madison says, we made it; it’s over. Let’s have one more good night.

Jenna tells Adam that the girls think she can be mean, and they’re afraid of her. Madison and Georgia eavesdrop, and roll their eyes. In Madison’s interview, she says, it’s how you treat people, how you talk to people, and how you manage a team. She’d never want anyone to feel like she was made to feel. She thinks she knows how it should be run, and could handle the job

Jenna tells Byron, when they started in the industry, it was more cutthroat. In Byron’s interview, he says there’s a level of respect that the younger ones need to learn. Georgia tells Madison, if there was a separation, it was because Jenna made it that way. Paget  gives Ciara a gift bag in the crew mess, and she takes out a Leatherman. In her interview, Madison says, how romantic, but in Ciara’s interview, she says she loves practical birthday gifts. Paget says she’s park of the deck team now, and they hug. The crew sings Happy Birthday.

Glenn radios the crew for the debriefing. He says, they got through the final charter, and it was definitely challenging. But even though they had a situation, they still finished on a high note. The tip was $15,000, or $1660 each. Jenna is shocked, along with having a sense of relief. Glenn says they got more than $16K each in tips, and made a total of $143K. It’s a testament to how well they work as a team. He tells them he’s set up dinner at a beach bar; their final night out together. He’s coming along, and tells them to do as much as they can before they head out.

In his interview, Adam says he’s serious about the road trip. Even though it was a terribly emotional time, at this point, Jenna is the closest he’s ever gotten to saying I love you. He doesn’t give his heart easily, and it’s hard to believe sometimes. In Georgia’s interview, she says she can’t ignore her feelings for Paget anymore. It’s been weighing on her for a while, and she has to tell Ciara before Ciara finds out. She has to admit it’s a disloyal feeling, and it’s terrifying. She goes up on deck, where Ciara is coiling a gigantic rope, and asks if Ciara wants help. Ciara says, sure, and Georgia says she kind of has to tell Ciara something before they go. She’s having a bit of a thing for Paget. I honestly don’t get why she feels the need to do this. It’s not like she and Paget did anything but joke around. It seems like she’s just making an idiot of herself. I also don’t get how Ciara would find out otherwise. Does Georgia post her diary online?

Ciara says she already knew that, and it was no surprise. In Ciara’s interview, she says, this is super awkward. Georgia says she hasn’t ever wanted to cross the line, and wanted Ciara to know that. In her interview, Ciara says, let her silence speak for itself. She tells Georgia, you’re fine. In her interview, Georgia says to open up, and have Ciara say she knew, and never thought of Georgia as a threat, is twisting the knife; she wants to jump in [the water]. Again, I’m not getting this. On top of this need to tell Ciara, she wanted a jealous reaction? It’s like some weird mean girl backfire. I thought more highly of Georgia than this. Ciara tells Paget that she was washing the bow, and she and Georgia had a conversation about him. Georgia apologized and admitted she had a thing for him. He laughs, and Byron eavesdrops. Paget says, has or had, and Byron laughs. Paget tells Ciara, if it’s any consolation, he fancies Ciara. She says she hopes so, and they hug. Everyone gets ready for dinner.

The crew gets in the van, and they drive to the beach club. There’s a long, candlelit table near a firepit outside, where they sit. Jenna asks Ciara if they ever initiated the threesome, and Ciara says she wishes everyone would stop bringing it up. Paget says, it’s not happening. Glenn asks what everyone’s high point of the season was. Chris says it was sailing; the feeling of the sea, and the power of the wind. For Paget, it was the regatta, and for Adam, meeting Jenna. Everyone aww-groans. Glenn says the crew blew him away. The people knew, as well as those he just met. He congratulates them on a great season, and they clink glasses. In Glenn’s interview, he says, at the beginning of the season, he was with his core family, but the new crew coming in became like family. They don’t always get along, like you don’t always get along with your siblings, but overall, it was a fantastic family. He goes back to the boat, leaving the crew to their own devices.

Georgia says she’s not going to miss an opportunity to play guitar, taking it out of its case. Paget says he has a request from her number one fan. It’s in his head, but he can’t think of the name of it. He tells her, just play. She plays and sings, and he says, that’s it. I’m pretty sure it’s one of her own songs. In Jenna’s interview, she says, nice of Paget to call himself her number one fan. I think Paget feels a little sorry for her. Paget plays air guitar and sings along. In Ciara’s interview, she says if she never had to hear that song again, it would be way too soon. She cuddles with Paget. The song concludes, and everyone applauds. Georgia asks if they want another one, and there’s a moment of crickets before Madison says she wants to dance. They go to the main part of the restaurant; it’s somewhat enclosed, but has no walls. Byron, Jenna, and Adam stay behind, lounging on a long couch. Chris asks Paget if he thinks they’re falling asleep, and Paget says, they are 30 plus. Paget sees Georgia, and says he wants to tell her something. Oh please.

Georgia tells him, make her night. There’s a brief exchange I can’t really hear, and Paget says, forget about it, and walks away. When he gets back to Ciara, she asks if he loves her. He says, of course, and she asks if he’s happy with her birthday. He says, if she’s happy, he’s happy. Paget rounds everyone up. Chris wants to wait one more song, but Paget suggests they get in the effing van. Back on the boat, Chris writes, it’s over, on the whiteboard.

In the morning, Paget says his head is killing him. Chris complains that he had so many clothes he didn’t get to wear. In his interview, he says it’s scary for him. He started well, but now he’s going to head back to the UK and see a specialist to get his back sorted out. Hopefully he’ll come back better and stronger. In Byron’s interview, he says the crew has been mostly capable, but he’d never pass up an opportunity to work with Glenn. They made great tips, but he can’t wait to see his wife and daughter. He leaves, and wife Hayley meets him on the boardwalk, along with baby Saphira.

In Madison’s interview, she says she learned a lot, and is more sensitive than she thought she was. She takes things too personally, and shouldn’t. She’s going to miss Georgia the most, since she felt like she found a sister. She and Jenna high-five. She tells Georgia, you’re coming with me, and walks out on the dock. Georgia follows, saying she’s been waiting to hear that all season. Georgia and Madison say goodbye, and in her interview, Madison says she knows she’ll be friends with Georgia for the rest of her life.

Georgia asks to talk to Paget. She tells him it was great that she formed a strange, crazy connection, even at the expense of her dignity. She’s glad she met him; no one has gotten her like he has for a while. She gets teary, and says, it’s nice to know someone gets her. It means more than he realizes. Paget says Ciara told him at some point that she thought Georgia had feelings for him, but he couldn’t act on that. In his interview, he says Georgia is a good person underneath all the jokes, and she’s just looking for someone to treat her right. She’s talented, funny, good-looking, and available! Please treat her well. Paget reminds me of the nice college guy who’s gently brushing off the middle school girl who has a crush on him. Jenna tosses her clothes on the bed, wondering how she’s going to fit them in her suitcase.

Paget looks around the boat, and says, it’s a lot of work. Jenna tells Georgia, she knows it was complicated, and Georgia says, that’s the nature of the beast. Jenna says she thought she handled it well, but in Georgia’s interview, she says she thought she’d have team members to rely on. Instead, it was three times more complicated. Just saying. Ciara tells Georgia, it was nice, finding a hardcore bitch like herself.

In Jenna’s interview, she says, she fell in love in this hopeless place. How could she not love this season? Adam tells Glenn that he’s a great captain. He’s had his fair share, and Glenn is one of the few he’d work for again. I notice that Glenn is like, thanks, but doesn’t return that sentiment. In Adam’s interview, he says he’s learned a lot, and being vulnerable may not actually kill him. He asks if Jenna is ready for a road trip.

Glenn, Paget, and Ciara sit in the crew mess. Ciara says, it’s just us again. Glenn says it was a great season, and he’s glad they were there. He’s glad it worked out with Ciara being a deckhand. Ciara says she’s glad Glenn pushed her. In her interview, she says, she realized she’s more capable than she gives herself credit for. Being outside her comfort zone was good for her. She thanks Paget for making it happen.

Meanwhile, on the road… Jenna and Adam, living in a van down by the river. Or at least near the beach. Adam cooks over and open flame, and asks what time the primary wants to eat.

Shahs of Sunset

Your guess is as good as mine as to what happened here. Part one of the Reunion was supposed to air at 9 pm, but somehow it turned into The Notebook. I checked everywhere – Bravo’s site, Twitter, Facebook, Google – nothing. I saw the question being posed on the Shahs Facebook page, but no one answered. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I even checked through the entire next week of the digital guide, and nada. Is there a lawsuit pending? As soon as I find out what the blip is going on, I’ll let you know.

It was probably just as well, since I have a sick child dog who had to stay at the hospital tonight, and I’m just a wee bit distracted. I poured an entire pot of tea though, for your entertainment pleasure.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

Shahs of Sunset

Reza tells us, when Persians are on vacation, and shelling out cash, they don’t like wasting a moment of time. Except Destiney. Everyone is in the kitchen early for breakfast, but Destiney is still sleeping. Mike asks who’s doing surfing and who’s doing the bees. He puts tattoos on everyone. In Mike’s interview, he says he thought Paulina might have a hard time, bringing the group along on her birthday trip, but they’ve been awesome. He’s helped by acting like a camp counselor. In MJ’s interview, she says she loves Mike, but he can be controlling, and the girls he’s with become subservient. We see a clip from the reunion where Mike didn’t want Jessica to come out, even though she wanted to speak her piece. MJ says, Mike is happy, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have the same tendencies to be the guy he’s been for the last 35 years. GG asks where Destiney is.

MJ video chats with Tommy, and looks at baby Shams. She tells him, yesterday was hard. She felt homesick. She asks if Shams has changed, and Tommy jokes that he’s smoking cigarettes now. MJ shows him a lizard on a nearby rock. She says she and Reza had a nice, long conversation. He said his intention was to drop everything. She asks if Reza’s attorney has communicated with Tommy’s, but he says, no. In MJ’s interview, she says she’s going to be there for the man she married, and has a family with. She wants Reza to realize he’s wrong, and drop the charges. She says she’s going to try and have one nice day.

GG wants to do rosé all day, and wonders how MJ is going to surf in her thong bathing suit. Paulina says she’s going surfing, rather than joining Mike on what I find out later is a trip to a bee farm. MJ says Paulina is finally thinking clearly. In GG’s interview, she says, it’s been a while, and she’s having floating thoughts. In the car on the way to the farm, she asks the guys – Nema, Reza, and Mike – questions about sex. In Nema’s interview, he says he and GG haven’t had anything physical, although they’ve had moments that were close. We flash back to the almost-kiss on the ski trip. GG allows him to kiss her, although it’s nothing passionate. In her interview, GG says, less teeth and more lips would have been helpful. Nema says, it was a preview.

Destiney explains that her sister was stung by a bee while doing a handstand in the pool, so she’d rather go surfing. Shervin, MJ, Paulina, and Sara are also in the surfing group. An instructor shows MJ how to stay on a surfboard. She says she has an aggressive thong, which sounds painful, but she masters the stance. Although since the surfboard is on land, it’s kind of meaningless, since the ground isn’t rolling around beneath her. Destiney and Paulina just hang out on their surfboards in the sun. In Destiney’s interview, she says it’s like how Persians go to a pool party, but they don’t go in the pool. It’s same with the beach. It might ruin your hair.

At the bee farm, bee guy Joe gives the other group lots of bee information. GG tells him about seeing a shaman who said her spirit animal was a bee. She used to sting people, but now she wants to stay alive, Reza gets the complete protection suit, but the rest wear variations of gear, and GG just wears the hat and gloves. Reza says, a bitch lost 50 pounds, but the suit is still snug. GG says she knows her homies won’t sting her. Want some honey, honey? True story. The only time I was ever stung by a bee was when I was around four, and I tried to pet it. I love bees. Bee guy Joe takes out the shelves from the hive that are covered with bees. Nema thinks he and GG are two bees who need to pollinate, and Mike says he’s sweating like a whore in church.

The surfing group gets back first, and MJ wants a shot of Patron, even though she doesn’t like Patron. I don’t like it either, but that’s why I don’t drink it. MJ tells Paulina, she knows how it feels to be under a strict regime. It takes her back to her Persian boyfriend. She’s glad she married a white boy. Shervin shakes his head.

Bee guy Joe demonstrates how to make a candle, and the group gets sheets of beeswax to make one. Reza says, they’re expensive; make three or four. Paulina texts Mike, MJ is effing foul. In Mike’s interview, he says, MJ thrives off antagonizing people. It’s like a drug for her to poke at people. It gets her high. Mike says he has to go. He has to see WTF is happening.

Mike stomps in, asking, what happened? and Paulina says, MJ told her that she and Mike remind her of when she used to date Persian men. He says, WTF? and Shervin says, it doesn’t end there. Reza tells MJ that Paulina is upset. Something MJ said hurt, offended, or disrespected Paulina. In her interview, MJ says she’s shellshocked. She thought they were bullsh*tting, having fun, and bonding over men. Paulina tells Mike that MJ said she was glad she married a white guy, and Mike was so controlling. He tells her that he’s sorry she had to go through this. In his interview, he says he vowed never to be like that again, and his prayers were answered with Paulina. He says, MJ needs to know not to f*ck with him and his girl. He tells MJ that there’s been a lot of sh*t talk behind people’s backs, and he doesn’t like his girlfriend being upset. MJ says she loves Paulina; why is she upset? He says MJ told her that she was sorry Paulina was dating a Persian guy. She says she didn’t say that, and Mike says Paulina heard it that way. MJ says the Persian relationship situation reminded her that she married an American, and it’s very different. She didn’t say anything insulting, but she’s sorry Paulina heard it that way. In GG’s interview, she says, MJ is being her authentic self, someone who damages people. GG wants no more to do with it. Mike asks MJ what she’s thinking. Does she not like Paulina? MJ says Paulina is like a breath of fresh air. In Reza’s interview, he wonders why MJ would say what she did when she’s in a huge group, mostly of Persian men. MJ says, it’s a fact that American men are different, and Mike said she was pointing out that things are better. Trying to flip it, MJ asks why it has to be a comparison, and Mike says, she’s effed up. She tells him, she didn’t say he was controlling, which is exactly what she said. GG doesn’t understand how anyone can insert themselves in someone else’s life. Mike says, stop engaging. GG leaves, while suggesting MJ get her own life. Mike admits he’s opinionated, but says he’s not controlling. MJ says if they don’t want her there, don’t invite her, and Mike says he wants her to act right. She asks what she’s doing wrong, and when he wants to apologize, hopefully she’ll be open to it. Destiney says Persian men are controlling, but she loves them. Shervin tells Reza, Adam called and asked if he could fart.

GG goes outside and sits with Paulina. She says she’s sorry she wasn’t there earlier. They thought Paulina was having a great time, then all of a sudden, Mike was raging, In GG’s interview, she says, it’s confusing, having a friend like MJ. They’ve had some amazing times – we flash back to some of those – but on the other side, MJ preyed on her vulnerability – we flash back to MJ and Reza blindsiding GG with Shalom’s ex-wife. GG says they’re talking about the woman who single-handedly sh*t on everyone.

MJ tells Reza, she said Mike was strict, and he still continues to pop off. Let her cool off. Reza says, it’s Paulina’s birthday; talk to her. MJ goes out, joining Paulina and GG. GG is telling Paulina, it doesn’t make sense, and it’s not right. What credibility does MJ have? MJ says she’s sorry if she upset Paulina when she said Mike was strict. They haven’t hung out that much, and Paulina seems easy-going, so MJ let her guard down and was talking sh*t. GG slips away, and MJ sits down. She tells Paulina, she says things that sound harsh, but her intention isn’t from a bad place. Paulina says, hearing that, she wondered what going on. She felt the drama between MJ and Reza, and wondered if she was next. In MJ’s interview, she says she’s realizing, before Paulina has a chance to get to know her, she’s been told bullsh*t. Paulina says it means a lot to her for MJ to explain herself.

Nema says Paulina is adjusting to the group, and how everyone is in everyone’s sh*t. He doesn’t consider it malicious, but just thoughtless. In Destiney’s interview, she says MJ is sh*tty with her comments sometimes, and always comes back with she didn’t mean it, and how much she cares. It makes you think you’re crazy. She’s not sorry; it’s a pattern. Mike says, it’s time for the luau dinner.

A conch is blown. It reminds me of Lord of the Flies, which isn’t far off. A pig has been roasted, and there are hula dancers with a three-piece accompaniment. They toast to a beautiful evening together. MJ hugs Paulina. In Mike’s interview, he says, even though he appreciates MJ’s apology – it’s big of her – it’s more of a concern what a persona says behind his back than in front of his face. In Reza’s interview, he wonders, WTF were they thinking? Who’s eating the pig? He’s half Muslim and half Jewish. He doesn’t screw with swine. I didn’t even think of that. GG says, the pig is scary. I was at an event that included a pig roast once, and they’re gross, but the smell is incredible. It tasted good too, but by the time I got there, almost nothing but the head was left, so all I got was a taste.

Paulina thanks everyone for coming on the trip her love planned for her. Nema says, in 2018, Mike was a pain in the ass, but the 2019 Mike is amazing. Reza says Paulina made someone they loved better, and they toast to her. A beautiful cake comes out, almost like a small wedding cake, decorated with real flowers. The group sings Happy Birthday in Persian. Mike hopes all her wishes come true. Fire dancers come out, and GG ducks behind the table. In her interview, she says she has Puff the Magic Dragon with her, and she doesn’t want to die. They drink some more.

Nema compliments GG, and Mike says they want to see a kiss. Nema says they saw that once today, and the guys all make fun of him. Mike asks GG to show them again, and she says she’s definitely drunk enough. Nema tells her, come on, and she says that’s probably why he’s still single; he has no swag. Mike asks if he ever smashed Erica, and Nema says, he has a major emotional attachment to her. He had no sense of family growing up, and has a hard time letting go. In Nema’s interview, he says, not having a key maternal figure, he doesn’t process relationships the same way, and that’s why it’s hard to let go of Erica. Nema says Erica saved him after his divorce, at his lowest point. He doesn’t like their disrespectful comments. He goes inside.

GG says, Nema needed a break from the conversation. It didn’t work out, and it’s sensitive for him. Why is it fair grounds [sic] to talk about it? She goes inside and sits with Nema, but sees a roach walking across the floor, and freaks out. MJ is on her way in, and GG tries to stop her, telling her about the bug. In his interview, Nema says he knows GG likes to get high, but she’s a little crazy. Who knows what she sees? He swipes the bug outside with his foot, and she sees another one on the ceiling. She’s worried his friend is going to come for her now.

Nema tells GG, any criticism of Erica is difficult for him. GG says he should marry Erica, and he says she wants and deserves tradition, but he can’t give her what she wants. GG asks, why? and he says, it’s awkward to say that he loves her, but he’s attracted to other women. GG says he needs someone who understands that he wants to have fun. If her brain could be put into Erica, it would be perfect. Nema says he would marry her, and GG says then he’d have his cake and eat it too. He asks which she is, the cake or what he’s eating? She says she’s always an option. Paulina interrupts, and says she has a ritual she wants them to do. Nema says, saved by the bell, and GG says, he was saved by the bell. She asks what flavor cake she’d be, and Nema says, red velvet. GG thinks she’d be devil’s food.

Back at the table, Paulina says, for her birthday, she wishes they could have deep friendships, but they’re afraid to be honest. She wants them to write down, anonymously, how they feel. In his interview, Reza says, bad idea, and Paulina tells them, write down what you’re scared to say. In Reza’s interview, he says, give them a slice of coconut cake, and be done with it. Where’s the hula dancer? Where’s Don Ho when you need him? This is a bad, bad idea. Paulina says they’re going to burn them afterward. They move to the fire, and Paulina reads, Nema is passive/aggressive. The next one says, Shervin is too buff. He needs to eat a salad some time. Shervin says, it’s in crayon. It’s Mike. Mike starts to laugh. Paulina reads another one that says, if I hadn’t been vulnerable, I wouldn’t have hurt the people I love. They all seem to know it’s Reza, and she reads, I don’t like to see people who thrive on people in pain. She picks up another, and says, Sara needs to clear out the skeletons in her closet. Sara says, wow, and Mike says, that’s been the chatter amongst the group behind her back. We flash back to Sara talking to Reza about her time with R. Kelly. Sara says, none of them would know what to expect; what it’s like seeing your ex on the news. It’s a ridiculous statement. Destiney says she didn’t write it, but she’s glad someone did. GG insists on switching seats, so Destiney and Sara can talk it out. In Destiney’s interview, she says, even though she and Sam are no longer dating, there’s been some tough sh*t with the R. Kelly situation. She’d never want to make another woman feel less than. They clasp hands. Sara says she feels like everyone is on the hunt. It’s the worst thing, exploiting the situation. MJ says the people they’re closest to, are the people they pick on. Something they need to flip the script on, and learn to be better. MJ says the person she wants to be isn’t hurtful, and she wishes she’d never hurt anyone or ever gotten hurt. She wishes it was different. Reza says the situation between him and MJ was hard for him. He needed to have conversations, and make apologies and promises. Mike says, it has to stop, for everyone’s piece of mind. He wants to move forward. No more sh*t talking or back stabbing. He needs Paulina to be okay. Reza says they need to act nicely, and let this sh*t stay in Hawaii. Burn the letters. Mike throws them in the fire, and says he doesn’t want to hear one more negative thing.

The next morning, GG asks if Nema has any memories of last night. He was pretty wasted. Nema says she was too, and she says she was beyond wasted. We see her clips of GG dancing around, and saying she’s so drunk. She says, mission aborted, and Nema says, between them. In Nema’s interview, he says, GG made it clear that she was open and willing to have sex. We see GG saying, Nema, now! He says, five minutes, and she says, okey dokey, artichokey. GG says, obviously, he was comfortable enough to have sex, or at least take it where it was. Nema says, there may have been a hot tub moment. They both use paper dolls to illustrate their narrative. They got in the hot tub, and Nema put his back against the jets. GG told Nema that he looked good, and he said she did too. GG was drinking and smoking weed, and pulled Nema closer. Nema says, she bit his lip; it hurt. Her hands were feeling around, wondering, what’s going on down there? GG suddenly tosses the paper dolls in the air. In his interview, Nema says, here’s a beautiful woman, who’s been drinking a lot. He doesn’t know if she’d feel the same way if she was sober. One  time GG told him that she could get any guy she wants. It’s nice to be the one. He smiles, blinding us with his teeth.

Reza and MJ sit outside on the lawn. Reza says, it took coming there to give them perspective in their lives. They have it so good, and have one another’s backs. He puts his head in MJ’s lap. He says he wants to tell her what’s been going on, and how rough sh*t has been. He can’t go through this again. MJ says they’re on the right track, but her worst fear is that he and Tommy aren’t on the right track. They’ve yet to hear what the status is on the restraining order. Reza had said he was lifting it, and not pressing charges. We flash back to MJ and Tommy talking with their lawyer. Reza says, when he gets home, he’s going to have a conversation with his attorney, and let him know that he doesn’t have an interest in pursuing it any more. MJ says when he finally follows through, it will be a big message to Tommy. In MJ’s interview, she says the judge will most likely dismiss the vandalism, and her husband won’t be a felon. Maybe there’s a chance in hell of healing this catastrophe in their relationship. MJ tells Reza, fingers crossed, they’re in the pool in 2020.

In Reza’s interview, he says, clearly, MJ wants him to drop the charges. He’s figuring out if their relationship will get better after he does. It feels like it will, but…

Next time, a Sip and See for Shams, and Mike isn’t going; Reza talks to Adam about Tommy, but Adam wants to stick by the order; and MJ tells Reza if there’s going to be future between them, please don’t do this.

April 15, 2020 – Sonny Calls Nikolas a Coward, Beverly Hills Goes To Fashion Week & Surviving

Standard

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

I missed the beginning, so here are the highlights. Sonny tells Jason, someone else needs to be warned about Cyrus, and Jason jets. Nikolas and Ava stop by Sonny’s place, via the kitchen entrance, and Charlotte has brought a sack containing her pet snake, Nagini, to Violet’s party. She tells him that they’re going to have so much fun, and hides the sack in the alcove under the stairs.

Lulu suggests Charlotte help by giving the kids some pointers. Charlotte looks at the sack, and goes with Lulu.

Sonny says the newlyweds, and Nikolas says, good to see him. Sonny asks why it took Nikolas so long to climb out from under his rock to say hello, and  Ava says they’re here to pick up Avery for Violet’s party; they’re not looking for a fight. Sonny says bodyguard Cy is taking them; he’s the best, and discreet. They won’t even know he’s there. Nikolas says he can protect his wife and her daughter, but Sonny says Nikolas is going to stay. They have a lot of catching up to do.

When they’re alone, Nikolas tells Sonny, he has an apology to make before Sonny says anything. Several apologies. He’s sorry about leaving Spencer, and sorry for getting Carly involved. Asking her to keep him a secret from Sonny was a bad call. Sonny says Nikolas has made a lot of them, but Nikolas says it was the only way to keep Spencer safe. Sonny says, it wasn’t the only way. Nikolas says he did what was best for his family, Sonny says, he didn’t. He doesn’t care about Nikolas, but he does care about Nikolas’s mother and his son, and the choices Nikolas made that affected them. He knows all he needs to know about Nikolas. Nikolas asks, what’s that? and Sonny says, there’s only one kind of man who would betray his children like Nikolas did, and he has no use for him. We flash back to Nikolas telling Spencer that he needed to be strategic, and Spencer saying he needed his father.

Maxie tells Peter, when she spoke to Lulu, she said Valentin wasn’t worth fighting over, and Lulu agreed. Anna approaches them, and says, Georgie is about to ride the pony. She wants them to watch her. Maxie wonders if she should film it in regular or slo-mo. Anna goes inside, and sees Robert with a wrapped gift that looks like a really long stick. She says, absolutely not. Not in her house. Not now; not ever. Robert says, it’s practically a tradition. Violet comes in with Finn, and asks where Robert went. Robert says he went to pick up something special. Finn asks Anna if he should be worried, and Anna tells him that he should be afraid. Violet asks Anna to help unwrap it. Elizabeth tells Finn, it’s a good party, and he says it’s just something he threw together. She says, Violet is having a wonderful birthday, and he says she doesn’t think he went overboard? She says, not at all, and he says it’s the first birthday party he’s throwing for her, and he needs to prove he can deliver. Elizabeth says, and he did, but he doesn’t need prove anything. The one thing Violet already knows is that he’s a good dad. The gift is unwrapped, and it’s a didgeridoo. Robert plays it, and says, it’s a classic happy birthday.

Franco sees Ava and Avery, and Ava asks if Avery remembers her friend Franco. Franco says he remembers her, and asks if she’d like some popcorn. Ava says, popcorn is gross, and Avery doesn’t like it. Avery says she loves popcorn, and Franco suggests she get her own box. He can be her guide through the party; there’s a juggler and petting zoo.

Catching Olivia on her way in from screaming at Rocco, Robert tells her, he’s sorry, but Dante’s condition hasn’t improved. We flash back to Olivia telling Dante, for so long, it was just the two of them. She knew she could never give him everything he deserves. Dante says she did great, and she says she did her best. Every decision she made was to keep him safe, but she realized, as he grew, her job was going to get harder, because he’s not a man who will ever be content to be safe. He’s a hero in every sense of the word. Olivia tells Robert, it’s been over a year; there must be an improvement. He says he’s sorry to bring her bad news, but she says, unlike the doctors at the WSB, she’s not giving up. As long as Dante is alive, there’s still hope.

Dante asks if Sonny talks to Spencer, and Sonny says they’re very close. Spencer wants to know why he’s been abandoned by his father. I stare at the bowl of moss. Sonny says, Spencer checks in every night with a text or voicemail, but when Spencer calls, he picks up and they talk. Nikolas asks, what about? He’s sure Spencer tells Sonny what a terrible father he is. Sonny says he doesn’t mention Nikolas much; he doesn’t have to. It’s in everything he says, and not in a good way. Spencer tells him about school, what he does, his discoveries in France. He doesn’t say he’s lonely; he doesn’t have to. Nikolas is sorry his son is in pain, but Spencer is a child. In time, he’ll understand the choices Nikolas made were to protect him. Sonny says, Nikolas did it for himself, and Spencer doesn’t understand why Nikolas chose to abandon him. We flash back to Spencer telling Nikolas that he could have come home any time; Spencer never had to leave home, but Nikolas cared more about hating Valentin than loving him. Ava tells Spencer, Nikolas always loved him, but Spencer says he hated Valentin for killing Nikolas. Now he hates Nikolas for not staying dead. Nikolas tells Sonny, of all people, he thought Sonny would understand the lengths he went to in order to protect his family. Sonny says, only cowards do what Nikolas did, and he isn’t a coward. Nikolas would be smart to remember that.

Nikolas says, if Sonny is calling him a coward, he’s conveniently forgotten that Valentin tried to kill him. He had to protect Spencer, and find a way to take back what was his. Sonny says, it’s like one snake taking the head off another. Stay away from the people he loves, including his wife. Nikolas says he regrets dragging Carly into it, and Sonny says, and Spencer. We flash back to Ava asking Spencer not to shut Nikolas out. She knows how profoundly Spencer was affected by losing Nikolas, and how deeply Nikolas loves him. It’s time they both stopped hurting, and put anger aside. Let his father love him again. Spencer tells Nikolas, he could have come back with nothing. Instead, he let Spencer believe he was dead. Spencer has lived every day for the past three years alone, because of Nikolas. He built Nikolas up as a noble prince in his memory, but he’s as heartless as Valentin. The Cassadine legacy is more important than he is. Stay the hell away from him.

Willow and Chase come bearing a unicorn piñata, and Willow explains how a piñata works by pulling strings on it. Chase asks, what happened to beating the thing until it breaks? Finn asks if he has no compassion for paper mache, and Willow says, some kids don’t like hitting things that look like something that’s alive. Rocco runs in, and says Peter Pan is there. Willow goes back out with him, and Chase follows. Finn puts the piñata aside.

Finn tells Chase, he’s glad Willow could make it. Chase thinks she’s having a good time; she loves being around kids. Finn says, it makes sense, since she’s a teacher. He asks if Chase is all right, and Chase says, he’s fine, but Willow’s not. The whole custody battle is getting to her. Wiley isn’t her son, but they bonded fully and deeply. She can’t just switch it off. Michael is fighting for full custody, but if he loses, and Nelle gets Wiley, he’s not sure Willow can take it.

Charlotte comes back in, as Anna heads out the front door. Jason is on the porch, and she says she’s sorry she couldn’t meet at the MetroCourt, but she has this party going on. He says he just wanted to give her a heads up, and she says, if it’s about Peter, she can’t. He says, it’s about Cyrus, and she says she saw he was released. He says, Cyrus is trying to get leverage on key members of law enforcement. He doesn’t know if she’s a target, but Sonny wanted her to be aware. She tells him to thank Sonny, and he asks if the WSB has ever gone after Cyrus? She says she can’t share that information, and he says if she feels something is wrong, it can’t hurt to have back up. Sam comes out with Danny, and Danny says, dad?

Willow asks if Chase knows what the nicest thing about the party is, and he says, the bounce house? The petting zoo? She says seeing his grumpy brother doting on Violet. Does he know any other circumstance that would get Dr. Finn on a pony ride? It’s amazing how kids change your life. Chase flashes back to Sasha telling him, the only reason Michael isn’t asking Willow to marry him, is out of respect for Chase and Willow’s relationship. Chase says Willow would never leave him. She’d feel terrible, and it’s not the kind of person she is. But how could she be happy for the rest of her life, if Nelle got custody of Wiley, and she knew she could have stopped it, and didn’t? Chase tells Willow, he could use a walk. How about her? She takes his hand, and they leave.

Anna asks Jason to excuse her; she has to get back. Danny asks if Jason is there for the party, but he says he had to talk to Anna, and he can’t stay.

Ava sees Charlotte, and asks how she is. Charlotte says she’d like to go home. Ava says she’s sure Charlotte’s mother would be happy to take her, but Charlotte says she’s referring to her real home. Ava is sorry it’s difficult, but says, Charlotte knows Windymere belongs to her and Nikolas. Charlotte says, it’s not about her. Butterscotch misses his stall. Ava asks if Butterscotch is her pony, and she says, Butterscotch is a horse; there’s a big difference. A pony is fourteen hands, and Butterscotch is fifteen hands. Ava says she’s more than welcome to visit any time, but she doesn’t think Butterscotch would enjoy the launch. Charlotte doesn’t think so either. Lulu comes in, and tells Ava, she hopes Charlotte wasn’t rude. Ava says, Charlotte is just upset about her horse not being at Windymere. Lulu says, it’s definitely been an adjustment, and Ava tells her, blame Valentin for giving Charlotte false expectations. Lulu starts to respond, and Ava tells says, she knows what Lulu wants to say. They kind of want the same thing. Lulu asks what Ava thinks that is, and Ava says, for them to be better acquainted as sisters-in-law. Lulu says that’s not what she was going to say, and Ava says, come on. At least play along. It gives them something else to do other than bask in the glow of childhood mirth. Lulu says, it’s no secret she hates Valentin, and Ava says, wait until he pushes her from a parapet. Lulu says, the last thing she wants is her daughter caught in the middle of their feud. Ava says, no problem, and Lulu says, so she’ll help steer Charlotte clear of that? Ava says, she really means, no problem. Nikolas versus Valentin is over; they won. Lulu says, okay, great, and thanks her.

Peter sees Lulu, and Lulu says, look at them, talking socially. Peter asks if she’s warning him not to talk shop, and she says there’s nothing she’d love more, but kids, sugar, animals; it’s not the right frame of mind. He suggests they talk about Maxie instead. Her new job at Deception means a lot to her. Lulu says, it means a lot to her too. If working near, and having her paycheck covered by Valentin is a mistake, it’s Maxie’s to make. Peter says his eyes are open, and he’s watching. She tells him, be ready to catch Maxie when Valentin knocks her down.

Nikolas says Spencer is his son, but Sonny says, according to Spencer, he’s an orphan. Nikolas wasn’t there, so Sonny had to be. Nikolas says he’s sorry, but he cleared the road for Spencer to be the man he’ll never be. Sonny says, spare him the false humility. Nikolas is proud he climbed out of the sea, into bed with Ava, and back to Windymere. Congratulations. Nikolas can do what he wants, but if it touches Spencer – Sonny gets closer to him – he will intervene. Understand him? Nikolas says, yeah, and Sonny says, good. Then they’re done. Nikolas leaves.

Jason tells Danny, there’s something important they need to talk about. He wants Danny to keep being a great big brother. Look out for Scout and his mom, because Jason can’t be around for a while. Danny asks, why not?

Charlotte opens the sack, and asks Nagini if he’s okay in there, and promises he’ll be out soon. Ava and Franco come in, and Charlotte skootches into the alcove. Ava says she left it out there, but Franco says they don’t need to do this now. Ava picks up her purse, and says she’ll check her calendar. How’s tomorrow for their next sitting? He wants to get back to the party; he kind of likes the piñata. She laughs, and says, look at them. At a birthday party, at Anna’s house no less. He says, they’ve come a long way, and she says, yet she’s nowhere near satisfied. He says Nikolas has a bottomless bank account, and she’s a princess. She says, her tiara is tarnished, and he says he’s happy for her. It’s her vision of a dream come true. She says, not yet, but it will be. She puts her purse back, and they go back outside. Charlotte peeks out, and looks at the piñata.

Finn goes inside, and sits on the couch. Anna sees him, and says, just when she thought everything was going well. He says he has a kit in his medical bag, but she says, the party is going famously. She wondered what’s troubling him. He asks if he looks troubled, and she says he does. He says he was thinking maybe he should write Violet a letter, but she says, just tell Violet what he wants to tell her. He says he would be writing from a person who should be there, and Anna realizes he means Hayden. He says, on one hand, it would be a way to tell Violet that her mom is thinking of her, but on the other, it may imply Hayden is coming back. Anna says they don’t know what the case is, and asks if Violet has questioned him recently. He says, it’s been a while, and she says, from what she sees, Violet is a wise little person (aw!), sorting through what she thinks might have happened. When she’s ready, she’ll ask. He hopes he knows what to say when she does. We flash back, going down Hayden Memory Lane. Finn sitting with her at the MetroCourt, and telling her that he had a breakthrough in his research; Finn asking her to leave a toothbrush at his place, and kissing her; Griff telling them, the test results say she’s pregnant; Finn telling her that he wants to be family with her and the baby, and proposing; Finn finding out she’s Rachel Berlin, and asking why she didn’t tell him that she was in trouble. He loves her, and she got him through addiction. Why didn’t she let him help her through this? We move to Elizabeth telling Finn that Hayden is gone; Hayden writing the letter, telling Finn that the baby didn’t survive; Finn seeing her again, when she returned to Port Charles; Curtis asking if Finn thinks the child is alive; Hayden bringing Violet to the hospital, and telling Finn that she’s his daughter; Finn confronting Hayden, and saying he wants to be a part of Violet’s life; Finn telling Hayden that he’s her daddy, and explaining that he and her mommy were so in love, they made a baby; Finn introducing Violet to Anna, and thanking her for accepting Violet. We see Finn reading Hayden’s letter, telling him that she’s leaving Violet with him, and not to come after her, but to make sure Violet knows her mother loves her. We move to Finn and Violet pulling on the Thanksgiving wishbone, and Finn telling Violet that she’s his wish.

Anna tells Finn, of course (🍷) he’ll know. It’s a beautiful party. Just enjoy it, and let everything else go for now. Charlotte comes out with the piñata, and Finn asks where she’s going with it. She says she’s keeping it safe, and asks if it’s time yet. He says, almost, and Anna says she’ll gather the children. He takes the piñata from Charlotte, and she says, be careful. He doesn’t want any candy to fall out.

Um… wouldn’t it feel different? Like a different weight, and moving around?

Tomorrow, Chase says it’s Willow’s decision, Maxie asks Robert if Peter hasn’t suffered enough, and Charlotte tells Danny, there’s going to be a good surprise.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

I wasn’t going to even watch this season, after these horrible women drove my beloved Lisa from the show (and Giggy with her), but my curiosity over Denise’s friendship with Brandi coming back to bite her in the ass – both figuratively and possibly literally – was piqued. So I decided to do a minicap on this one.

I was eating dinner as I watched this, and even before the opening credits I wanted to stab a couple of them with my fork. I could feel my hand tightening around it. I have to say though, new girl – actress, mom of twin eleven-year-old boys, and friend of Denise – Garcelle Beauvais might just give them a run for their money. I have the feeling she’s not going to take their bullsh*t. After moving to NYC from Haiti at age seven, she said she could handle anything, even those damn Housewives. Useless trivia: she learned to speak English from watching Sesame Street.

The women went to New York Fashion Week (hey, you, get out of my city) for Kyle’s first show as a designer. Needless to say, our jeans and T-shirt girl, Denise, was less than enthusiastic. Speaking of Kyle, at the last reunion, she was lauded as queen, since LVP wisely left, and it showed in her narcissism attitude. After checking into their swank NYC hotel, they took a side trip to New Jersey (get out! get out!), and went to Shakers, a strip club where Erika used to work, although they were really more go-go girls than strippers, and the dancing was a real snooze. Erika wasn’t sure if the group was going to be accepting or judgmental. I guess she’s never seen this show before, because they’re usual response is to pretend to be the former, while being the latter for real. At lunch, we found out that Charlie Sheen was once again being a d-bag, taking Denise to court because he no longer wanted to pay child support. Erika immediately called Tom, who volunteered to go with her, but Denise didn’t want to deal with it. In her interview, she said she knew Charlie best, and would deal with her own family in her own way.

Kyle met with friend Domenico Dolce (from the Dolce side of Dolce & Gabbana), who has more money than God, and LisaR met with friend Sutton Stracke, also as loaded as the Lord, but apparently with no taste in clothing. Wanting to show LisaR the latest Dolce & Gabbana bra, she wore a sheer pink blouse over it, along with rainbow sequined shorts. Possibly something I would have worn to RHPS in the days when I went to the midnight movie, but anywhere else? <shakes head vehemently> While the cat was away, Mauricio had an agency party in L.A. When Kyle tried to call, he didn’t pick up, and she said he was probably drunk or stoned. It’s probably the only way he can deal with an association to any of these people.

Sutton joined the group for dinner, and while I wasn’t impressed with her day outfit, in a simple black dress, she outshone Kyle wearing a baggy sequined jumpsuit, and Erika, who looked like she was wearing a man’s black shirt, her dress barely covering her cheeks. Really it didn’t, since they were peeking out like she was wearing booty shorts. She informed Sutton that it was from Rhianna’s Fenty line, and in her interview, Sutton said that if God had collaborated with Tom Ford on the dress, it would still have been just as meaningless to her. A breath of fresh honesty. Dorit also carried the Jacquemus mini bag, which I find both adorable, and horrifying, since I can’t believe someone would pay almost 500 bucks for it, when there are people who can’t afford to eat.

Kyle was definitely clueless when it came to a runway show, not even recognizing her own samples, and Dorit stepped in to help her out. In her words, saving Kyle’s fashion show from Kyle. There was no one to save us from the clothes though, some of which were okay, but mostly reminded me of something a matronly woman would wear on a cruise. Sorry Kyle. All of the women were in the show, but no one can ever rival Ramona on the runway with her robotic look. Dorit complained that she got rewarded with clown shoes after bailing Kyle out. Teddi, who we found out was pregnant, had running commentary in her head, reminding herself not to walk in the way Kyle had imitated last season. Kyle also shouted directions from the wings, which didn’t seem very professional. Paris and Nicky Hilton also stopped by for a photo op, which Kyle hoped would boost the brand.

At the end of the show, Kyle said, everyone was so happy that day, it’s hard to imagine how terrible everything would become. Then the text said, Denise stopped filming in December, and a headline about a passionate affair between Denise and Brandi was shown. We saw Denise sit down, and a producer asked if she’s ready to talk.

FYI, after the fire and an extended period of living in hotels, Denise and Aaron are still not settled, but they are still having sex every day.

Best quote of the night, Garcelle in saying, it’s always time for a shot.

🦘 Calling It a Night While It’s Still Night…

Yesterday, it was late to bed, early to rise, and I’d like to even that out just a little. So leaving you with this oddly appropriate scene from Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, which features a didgeridoo. It’s possibly my favorite scene from the film. I love the mesh of cultures. Stay safe. You know the drill.
