What I Watched Today

General Hospital

Ava hears someone come into the gallery and says she’s sorry. They’re closed. She thought she locked the door. Sonny says, she didn’t. He heard from family court, but the date of the hearing isn’t going to work for him. He’s going to have Diane postpone it. She asks if he’s too busy keeping his family out of jail, and he says he doesn’t want to fight. She says if he doesn’t want to fight, give her back her daughter.

Sasha sees Tracy outside the boathouse, and says she was about to clean up. Tracy says, take her time. Unless she prefers Tracy clean up her mess for her.

Cody goes to Lulu’s room and Dante asks what brings him by. Cody says he thought it was time he met Lulu, and Dante says, he has good timing. He doesn’t know how much longer they have to do that.

At the hospital, Danny tells Elizabeth that he’s looking for Dante, and she says, he’s in with Lulu. She’ll let his dad know he’s here. He says his dad just left for Africa to find Lucky.

Mac asks when Alexis’s lawyer is getting here, and she says she’ll let him know when she has one. He says, the charges are serious, the murder of an FBI agent, and she says she knows. She just needs her one phone call. He says he thinks she needs a helluva lot more than that, and gives Alexis her phone.

Kristina goes to Molly’s office and asks if Molly turned her in for John’s murder. Molly says, if Kristina means, did she tell the PCPD that Kristina was unaccounted for the night of the murder, she did.

Dante tells Cody that the first night he and Lulu met, her brothers beat him up. Lulu was unlike any woman he’d ever met. Fiery, spontaneous, independent, super smart, strong, and passionate. Cody says, but it didn’t work out, and Dante says, it was his fault. What he has with Sam, he wouldn’t change for anything, but he can’t help but think about when he and Lulu fell in love.

Kristina says she can’t believe Molly would do this. Wait. She can. Molly says she’s the ADA and had to tell the police what she knew, but Kristina says, Molly saw an opportunity to hurt her, and Molly says, the night of Cates’s murder, Kristina was nowhere to be found. Their mom and Sam even called her. Kristina says, they must have been desperate. Molly can’t even acknowledge that she’s in pain too. Molly says, her and TJ’s pain isn’t even on Kristina’s radar. When is she going to realize that her actions have consequences? It’s not about her; it’s about mom. She’s the number one suspect. She has no alibi, was heard threatening John, and was seen disposing of a gun that’s somehow connected to Kristina. Kristina asks if Alexis said that, and Molly says, of course (🍷) not, but she bets Alexis is covering for her. Alexis would throw herself in front of a train to protect Kristina and Kristina would still find a way to say, poor me.

Temp Sam comes into the interrogation room and asks how this happened. Mac says he’ll be outside. The clock is ticking. Sam asks why they’re looking at Alexis when it’s obvious who did it, and Alexis says, Ric and Elizabeth saw her dispose of a gun, but they wouldn’t have brought her in if there wasn’t some new evidence. Sam says, she was nowhere near the crime scene, and Alexis says she knows, but she needs to find out what other evidence they have, and fast. Sam asks, how? and Alexis says she’ll agree to be interviewed.  

Sonny tells Ava not to make it more difficult. There’s no way in hell he’s giving Avery up. She says, no postponement. She wants her daughter back with her where she belongs. He says, Scotty disappeared and she’s without representation. Think of it as a gift. She has more time to find another hack lawyer. Good luck finding someone who’s willing to go up against Diane. Ric walks in and says, she has. He’s not afraid of Diane.  

Tracy asks what possessed Sasha to hold a social event on Quartermaine property, and Sasha says, she’s right. It was presumptuous and she overstepped. It won’t happen again. She apologizes. Tracy says, she hit all the right notes, but she hopes Sasha means it, and Sasha says, next time, she’ll ask permission. Tracy says, don’t bother. The answer will be no. She expects the employees to maintain proper professional decorum. Sasha asks if she means they should stay in their place, and Tracy says, boundaries exist. Sasha says, if Cody wanted to throw a party, would Tracy stop him?

Danny says his dad just left for Somalia, and Elizabeth asks how he knows. He says his dad texted that he wouldn’t be able to see him for a while. He’s saving lives. She asks if Jason knows where Lucky is. Has he reached out to Doc and Laura? He tells her that Jason just said he was on his way, and she asks if his mom knows. He says he’s not sure, and she asks if Sam knows he’s here. He says, probably not, and she says, Dante is going to be a minute. She suggests they hang out in the breakroom. She’ll text his mom and fill her in.

Sonny says he heard Ric was town, and Ava says she appreciates a family reunion as much as the next girl, but can they get back to the matter at hand? Sonny says, custody battles aren’t Ric’s thing, but Ric says he’s versatile and representing Ava in another matter. Sonny’s most recent discarded ex introduced them. Sonny says, the custody battle has nothing to do with the other matter in court, and Ava says she recanted her story about Kristina attacking her. She thinks it will play a pivotal role in the custody case, and Ric says, absolutely. When the court hears what a hot mess Kristina is, it won’t be hard to prove Sonny is an unfit parent. Exhibit A, the disastrous life of Kristina Corinthos-Davis. (Since she’s been an adult for some time, I don’t think that’s how this works. Parents can’t control anything once the child moves out. Not to mention, she did nothing wrong.)

Kristina says, their mom wouldn’t have had to protect her if Molly hadn’t gone to the police because she hates her and wants to blame her. Molly says, Kristina’s actions are to blame, and Kristina says, Molly practically pointed the police in her direction. Her own sister. She should get off her high horse, since this is a new low. Molly says, Kristina was planning on stealing her baby after assuring her that she could be trusted and wanted to help, and Kristina says she did, but everything changed when the baby was growing inside her. She wasn’t planning on it. It just happened. They were more connected than she ever intended. When TJ and Molly started fighting, she got worried for the baby. She’ll never get over losing her and thinks about her every second. She’s also dealing with trying to heal herself from falling out a window, which she hasn’t even begun to process. So she did lean on their mother. Alexis is her mother too, and if she hadn’t, she doesn’t know how she could have made it. She never meant to put Alexis in harm’s way and would do anything to protect her. Kristina says, then confess, but Kristina says she can’t confess to a crime she didn’t commit.

Sam asks why Alexis has no representation. Where’s Diane? Alexis says, Diane is representing Sonny, so she can’t represent her. Sam says, she’s not thinking of representing herself. There are a million good lawyers. Alexis says, they’re not here and she’s got this. It’s just an initial interview and she knows what she’s doing. She knows how to avoid the pitfalls and get information without incriminating herself. Sam’s phone dings, and she says, it’s Elizabeth. Danny is at GH. He’s not hurt. It’s about Jason. Alexis says, that’s important, but Sam says she’s not leaving. Alexis says she told Sam that she’s got this. Go look after her kid. If something happens – and it won’t – she promises to call. Go take care of her son. Sam leaves.

Looking at his phone, Danny says, Somalia is dangerous, and Elizabeth tells him to stop reading that stuff. He says he’s not worried. His dad can handle danger. Sam comes in and asks what Danny is doing here. Danny says he came to tell Dante that Jason is going to Africa to save Lulu’s life. Sam says, that’s great news, and he says his dad texted him from the plane. Sam says, so he’s already gone, and Elizabeth asks Danny to hop over to Bobbie’s and pick up BLTs for him and Dante. Her treat. Sam says she’s got it, and gives Danny some money. He leaves and Elizabeth says, that’s a lot to take in. Is she okay? Sam says, Jason was home long enough for her son to fall in love with him again, and now he’s going where he could get himself killed. She’s not okay with that.

Kristina says she’s telling the truth, and Molly asks what Alexis was doing with a gun. Molly’s phone rings, and Dex says he probably shouldn’t be calling, but her mom is here. She’s been arrested for John Cates’s murder. She’s talking to a detective and has no lawyer. Molly thanks him and says she’ll be right there. She tells Kristina that she’s got to go. For the last time, did she murder John Cates? If she did, she has to confess. Mom just got arrested for his murder.  

Sonny asks Ric, what kind of father turns his daughter’s mother into the police? Ric told them that he saw Alexis throw a gun off the bridge. Ric says he was doing his civic duty, but Sonny says, he’s a vindictive son of a bitch. Alexis is trying to keep her family together and he picked the right time to screw her over. Ric says, she’s trying to protect her and Sonny’s daughter and leaving his to deal with her pain and grief on her own, but Sonny says, Alexis loves all of her daughters, and Molly has TJ and Sam. Rick says, but not her mother, and Sonny says, Ric is probably feeling guilty because he’s not in Molly’s life. Whose fault is that? Ava says, they’re getting off topic. Sonny came to discuss the hearing. Sonny says, she chose this guy? A stand-up lawyer who just turned his daughter’s mother into the police to get arrested for something she didn’t do.

Alexis tells Mac that she was unable to secure representation, so she’ll answer questions without a lawyer. He asks if she’s sure, and she says she’s positive. He says he can’t do the interview because of their personal relationship, and Detective Bennet walks in. Mac leaves and Bennet sits down. He says, before they begin, he’s confirming her refusal of counsel, but she says she’s not refusing. She’s representing herself. He wonders if he should remind her of the risks, and she says, for the record, she’s innocent. He says, she can be charged for lying my omission or giving false statements, and she says she’s aware. He says she was seen dropping a firearm into the river. How did the weapon come into her possession?

Sasha comes out of the boathouse and says, Tracy is still here. Tracy says she’s been giving some thought to Sasha’s insinuation masquerading as a question. Cody throwing a party is a non-issue. Cody knows it’s inappropriate, and if Sasha is implying favoritism… Sasha says she definitely is and why not? Cody is a wonderful guy who has become Tracy’s friend. Tracy asks, says who? and Sasha says, anyone with eyes. There’s nothing wrong with it, but Cody has the family now that he’s never had and wants to spend more time with them. That’s why she threw the brunch, to help them make up for lost time. Tracy says, if she wants to help Cody revel in familial bliss, do it someplace else, and Sasha says she respects Tracy’s family and her job. She enjoys working here. Tracy says, it seems like a lark while she’s waiting for something better, but Sasha says she’s not. Tracy asks, why not? She respects Sasha’s talent and skill in the kitchen. Her quiche is perfect, and her pastry is divine, but does she care? Sasha says she does. She loves making food that people enjoy, and she likes talking to Cody. Tracy says, maybe she needs to take her work more seriously. She’s smart and capable, and at some point, she’s going to want more out of life than making Cody happy.

Dante tells Cody that when he and Lulu met, it was like lightning in a bottle. But time goes by, and you take things for granted. When he did his last mission for the WSB, something inside her broke. Tracy said he was the reason Lulu lost her spark. Cody suggests he take what Tracy says with a grain of salt or ignore it, but Dante says he thinks she’s right. He guesses he never should have left. Cody says, he can’t look back and play what if. He’s not going to come up with answers and he’ll just drive himself crazy. Dante says he wouldn’t change anything, but he’d give anything to see that feisty, fiery woman sitting on the dock waiting for the next adventure.

Elizabeth tells Sam, if it’s any consolation, Jason didn’t notify her either. Lucky has fallen so far off the grid, if anyone can find him and bring him home safe, it would be Jason. Sam says she wants him to find Lucky, but at the same time, she wishes he’d make his son a priority. Elizabeth says she gets it. She’s been there. She resented Lucky for similar reasons, but going in, she knew this was how he’d always been. Sam says she knew who Jason was and realized her kids needed one parent they could count on. With Dante, they have a stable home and so does she, but Danny is going to pay the price with Jason in it. Elizabeth says, he could step up. He did with Jake. Sam says, from a distance, and Elizabeth says she still credits him for trying. Sam says, if Lucky comes home, does she think he’ll be dad of the year?

Ric says, the only reason Alexis was put in the line of fire is because of Sonny’s daughter who Alexis is protecting. They’ve both done it for so long, cleaned up every mess of Kristina’s. Sonny says he gets it. One brother got all the love, and the other one was out in the cold. Ric is still whining about their mother giving him up and keeping Sonny. Does he really want to have a discussion about who had the worst childhood?

Alexis says she found the gun on her property. She has no idea how it got there. It was near the driveway by the front gate. She was walking and saw it. He asks how she was able to see it at night, and she says, it wasn’t that late. It was after dinner. Would he like to know what she ate? He says he probably shouldn’t. He’s hungry. She says, the moon was out, and she could see a metallic gleam in the grass, so she investigated. He asks how she thinks it got there, but she says, that would be speculation. He asks why she didn’t call the police, and she says she wanted it off the property because she has grandchildren who visit. In hindsight, it was stupid, and she regrets it, and if disposing of the gun was illegal, she’ll deal with the consequences. But if that’s all the evidence they have, she’s going to ask that the charges be dropped immediately. He says, she’d be correct, but they’re not finished. They’re just getting started.  

Molly says, the only thing that will save their mom is a full confession, so unless Kristina is prepared to do that, she’ll only make things worse. Kristina says she didn’t kill John Cates. Molly has to believe her. Molly says, just like she wasn’t going to steal their baby? She doesn’t know if Kristina killed him and maybe their mom doesn’t either, but she must think Kristina did and this is her desperate attempt to shield her. Now she could wind up in prison. Do her a favor and don’t help. She leaves, and Kristina gets on her phone. She texts Dante: Where are you?

Sam asks if Elizabeth is ready for everything that comes with it if Lucky comes home, and Elizabeth says she wants Lulu to live and wants Lucky safe. She hasn’t thought about it beyond that. Danny listens from outside the door, and Sam says, when Jason came back, she thought it was going to be the same. All she wants is for her sons to be happy, but what if this time Jason’s risks catch up with him? It’s her worst nightmare and will break her heart if Danny loses his father. Danny comes in and asks if she thinks his dad is going to die.

Ava suggests Ric and Sonny keep the sibling rivalry out of it. It’s ancient history. Ric says he doesn’t care about the past. The present is problem enough, so spare him Sonny’s amateur psychology. Sonny says, Ric can spare him the sob story and leave his daughter out of it. Stop ruining her mom’s life. Ric says, Kristina is doing it, because she won’t face the consequences, and Sonny says, from what? Ric’s client pushing her out a window? Ava says she did not push Kristina. It was an accident, and she recanted her story about Kristina attacking her. Sonny says, she’s a liar and she’s reckless. Great traits for a mother. Ric says, they’ll be in touch about the postponement, and Sonny says, Ric’s got to fix the mess he made for Alexis. Ric says, then tell the police what really happened, and Sonny says he can’t wait for Diane to deal with Ric. Ric says, he’ll see Sonny in court, and Sonny tells Ava that he doesn’t know why she teamed up with Ric. He’s going to do to her what he does to everybody – turn on her. He leaves, and Ava says, that was fun.

Cody says he doesn’t know what he’d do if he was in Dante’s shoes, and Dante says, he’d do the same. Remember the past and pray things get better. Cody says he’s not good at the heart stuff, but Dante says, he committed himself to an insane asylum to help Sasha. He’s got a great family and girlfriend. Cody says, better late than never, when Dante’s phone dings. He says, it’s Kristina. She’s in trouble.

Brennan says, two witnesses saw her drop the gun off the bridge the same night as the murder, and Alexis says, correct. He asks if she drove straight to the bridge after finding the gun, and she says, yes. He says, after that? and she says she went home. He says he understands Kristina was staying with her, and she says, Kristina was just released from the hospital. He asks what route she took to Blackstone Canyon, and she says, there’s only one. He says, and after she got rid of the gun, she went back home to her daughter, and Alexis flashes back to finding Kristina and her car keys gone. She says, yes. She found the gun outside, went to the bridge, dropped it in the water, and went straight home. He asks if anything has slipped her mind, and she remembers looking for Kristina. She says, no, and he says, it’s important she answer truthfully. She flashes back to Kristina saying, Cates has to be stopped, and he asks if anyone else drove her car the night of Cates’s murder.

Sam says she didn’t mean for Danny to hear that, but Danny says, it’s okay. His dad will be all right. Just have a little faith. She says she’ll try, and he says, his dad is going to bring Lucky home and everything is going to be okay. She’s just got to wait and see.

Ava says, the last person who got under Sonny’s skin ended up with a couple of bullets in his chest, but Ric says he’s not afraid of Sonny and he’s an excellent lawyer. She says she likes his confidence, but Sonny had a point. Why should she trust him? He says, she came looking for him. Nina put them together. Besides, what does she want to do? Roll over for Sonny? He’s not going to let that happen. She says, if he comes through for her, she’ll sing his praises to anyone who will listen. He’s got to get her daughter away from Sonny for good.  

Dante says he wants to talk to Kristina, but he doesn’t want to leave Lulu, and Cody says he’s got it covered. Dante says he appreciates it, and leaves. Cody sits by Lulu’s bed and says, hey, Lulu. I’m Cody. Let me tell you about the time I put live worms in Dante’s spaghetti.  

Sasha says she’s flattered that Tracy is interested in her life, but she doesn’t think Tracy is that interested. She thinks this whole thing stems from the party she threw for Cody and the Scorpios. Tracy is afraid of losing her friend to her and his family. She doesn’t have that many friends. Tracy says, that’s presumptuous, and Sasha says, but true. Does she ever wonder why everyone leaves?  

Kristina says she’s sorry to take Dante away from Lulu, but her mom was arrested for John Cates’s murder. She has to help her, but she doesn’t know what to do. She doesn’t know why it happened and has to find out. Dante says he’s not on the case and he’s sorry, but if Alexis was arrested, unfortunately, they have some serious evidence to back it up.

Molly goes into the station and asks Dex where her mom is. He says she’s in the interrogation room with Detective Bennet.

Bennet asks if he needs to repeat the question, but Alexis says she heard fine. She was the only person who drove her car that night. He says, interesting. Her car was seen parked in the Quartermaine’s driveway at the same time John Cates was shot. (Um… If they could see that, wouldn’t they see that no one got out of the car? Details, details…)

Sonny comes into the station and Molly asks what he’s doing here. He says he’s here to post bail for Alexis, but she says, he’s too late. She’s burying herself to protect his daughter.

Tomorrow, Drew says, it’s not working for him; Willow says, it feels so out of control; Alexis tells Kristina, do not take this further; and Molly tells Sonny, that’s the worst thing he can do.

Below Deck Mediterranean

Gael cries to Aesha about Nathan and her ex, then decides to go to bed. Carrie and Joe go to the galley and have something that looks like pizza, but Carrie calls a toasty. Gael gets in Nathan’s bunk, and he asks, what’s wrong? and she says, nothing. He says he can’t wait to travel with her, but she tells him that he doesn’t have to say that. He says he wants her and loves her more and more, and she tells him, then show it.

6 hours before charter. Joe tells Nathan, Carrie is so sound… as a mate. He’s not interested in anything else. In Nathan’s interview, he says, bullsh*t. It’s what he does. It’s his master class. Leah texts that she’s packed, and Captain Sandy texts back, have a safe flight. Nathan looks at hotels, and in Gael’s interview, she says, in her last relationship, she didn’t feel like a priority. She questions if her feelings are real. She doesn’t want lighting to strike twice. Provisions come in, including a huge sliver and blue ballon display. Aesha tells the stews that they can’t ask for a better last charter. She’s had them before. Their dinner theme is Swedish pop Greek musical… ABBA, and the yacht crew is putting on a performance. She tells Bri that the laundry has been great, and Bri grins widely. She says, Ellie’s décor is amazing. She’s nailing it. She’s noticed the dish washing is slower, but Carrie is setting a good example of how quickly it can be done. In Ellie’s interview, she says, there’s been a palpable shift in Aesha’s behavior since Carrie came on board. Remember me? This poor thing. Seriously, she needs some therapy for those insecurity issues. Aesha tells the stews to use every bit of fuel in their tanks. Let’s show them one last time. Ellie sighs as she makes beds.

Ellie and Bri talk about Joe as they do the cabins, and Carrie says, it’s their last time doing this. Ellie says she’ll be glad to be back in South Florida. Aesha radios Ellie and asks what she’s doing. Ellie says she’s helping Bri with the cabins, but Aesha says she told Ellie to do the stairs. Just do what she said. When Ellie comes down, Aesha says, there are fingermarks on the door. On Ellie’s way to buff them, she starts goofing around in the crew mess, and in Aesha’s interview, she says, Ellie didn’t listen to anything. They’re about to do charter and she’s flouncing around. Does Ellie want to piss her off? In Ellie’s interview, she says she feels like she has to check out a little. She doesn’t like how she’s being treated. She understands Aesha’s standards, but the way she’s going about it is having the opposite effect.

The crew lines up for the guests’ arrival, and Aesha says she’s enjoying this moment. Co-primaries Stacey and Brad get hugs from Aesha. She says she’s so excited, and the captain welcomes them. Aesha shows them around, and Stacey says, it’s definitely an upgrade. Joe says, it’s the last charter, and Nathan says, let’s ace it. In Iain’s interview, he says, it’s the last charter and he wants to have fun and check out the ancient ruins. They made it. In Carrie’s interview, she says, Ellie is trying to be the alpha, but she needs a break. It’s nice to have no responsibility for a little while. She was on a yacht where the owner lost his wife, and she went from chief stew to caregiver. Stacey toasts to a day filled with mischief, and Aesha says she can’t wait.

Nathan hugs Gael, and in his interview, he says, Gael is still thinking about a lot of things from her past relationship. He wants to give her reassurance, but he doesn’t know what else he can do. Jono prepares lunch and… mmmm… spring rolls… In Jono’s interview, he says he’s never met anyone gay or Black in the industry. He’s a double minority. He feels the energy and wants to make the guests extra happy. He needs that flavor, flavor. There are lots of wows over the food, and anchor is dropped. In Joe’s interview, he says he has no harsh feelings against Gael. They’ve had their ups and downs. We flash back to some of those, and he says he wanted her to excel and do the tender driving. He has to be careful what he says to her. One of the guests says, they haven’t eaten this much since 1976, and I wonder what that means. What happened in 1976? Had there been a famine and they made up for it? Did they come off the Atkins or Scarsdale diet? Ellie goes to help Carrie with laundry, and Carrie says she doesn’t want to mess up Bri’s system. Too many cooks and all that. In Ellie’s interview, she says, it feels amazing as second stew to have a floater tell her what to do. What the f*** is going on?  

Ellie goes back to the bar, and Aesha asks, how’s laundry? Ellie says, there’s a lot going on. Carrie said there were too many cooks in the kitchen, so she’s back. In the laundry, Carrie tells Bri that she told Ellie not to mess with the laundry, and in Bri’s interview, she says, the color thing is working. Having Carrie around gives her time to focus fully. The guests play on the water toys, and Aesha tells Ellie to decorate the dinner table and the sundeck for the performance. The deckhands have a group hug, the balloon arch is put up, and anchor is pulled. Ellie says, there’s a crate of disco balls in the closet, and in her interview, she says, the theme is Swedish pop music. They’re in Greece. The table décor is the only thing bringing her joy on this soul sucking boat. Aesha says, the décor is awesome, and the starter comes out in plates of colorful food porn. I’m wowing along with the guests, since Jono really stepped up his game big time. Presentation and everything.

Aesha reminds Joe that there’s a performance tonight and asks if he and Gael want to plan something. Joe tells Carrie that he’s got to come up with a dance, and in his interview, he says he and Carrie have the same vibe, but they’re just friends. In Carrie’s interview, she says, they’re just pals. Leah texts Captain Sandy that she’s landed, and the captain says she’s excited and can’t wait to see her. In Aesha’s interview, she says she doesn’t understand what Ellie is playing at. She thinks Ellie is trying to show Carrie, hey, bitch, I do have a little power. But guess what? She’s going to swoop in and put out Ellie’s candle. Gael and Joe practice a dance, and the first course is served. Stacey asks if the chef is coming home with them, and Iain puts up a rainbow flag, while Jono gets a hug. Nathan tells Gael, it’s cuddle time, and they get in her bunk together. She says, she’s scared. She doesn’t really know him out of the work environment. In Gael’s interview, she says, it’s hard not to feel that he’s being real. She can’t say he’s lying at this point, and feels she has to decide if this is a risk worth taking.  

Aesha tells the guests that they’re moving on to the after party. The crew gets dressed in some weird 80s outfits that look like they were just thrown together from random items, Nathan is wearing a leotard thing that screams with too many neon colors. Gael and Joe do aerobics a dance, and in Joe and Nathan’s joint interview, Joe says, what Nathan was wearing is questionable, but he owns it. Stacey says, it was fabulous, and thanks them.

2nd day of charter. We see the Temple of Poseidon, and Aesha asks if the captain is thinking about any plans for the big day. In Aesha’s interview, she says, not in a million years did she think that one day she’d be planning Captain Sandy’s engagement. We flash back to Aesha and the captain over the years, and Aesha says, they all settled in Colorado and are developing a friendship. They’re going have this day in their memories for the rest of their lives. She really wants to pull this off. The deckhands drop the lines and the yacht clears out. Jono sends out platters of eggs, bacon, and some bread, but these ain’t your mama’s eggs, bacon, and bread. Stacey says, they have the best-looking crew, and another guest says, us or them? Stacey says, both. It’s time for the guests’ surprise excursion, and they drop anchor. Aesha tells Bri that she can go with the guests. She’s been doing so well in laundry, Aesha wanted her to have a little treat. In Aesha’s interview, she says, Bri’s mythical god was laundry, and she overcame it. So now she can climb up a rocky, steep road to see the Temple of Poseidon. Jono hums in the galley, and I swear it’s the Banana Splits theme. Aesha goes over the flowers, table, violinists, and champagne with the Captain Sandy, and the captain tells Aesha to put peach tea in a champagne glass for her. In Captain Sandy’s interview, she says her stomach is funny. She doesn’t want to get it wrong. She wants it to be perfect. Don’t talk too fast. Don’t talk too slow. She hopes the weather is great. Will the flowers be there? Will the violinists be there? Aesha asks if she can watch from afar, and the captain says, yes. Aesha says, Captain Sandy just made her day.

The guests head out to the temple, and Iain joins them along with Bri. In Iain’s interview, he says, sometimes he falls behind scenes making everything run. He gives the guests factoids about the temple as they do a walking tour. The two that stuck are: it’s a prototype for the Acropolis, and there are 16 columns left of the original 34. In Bri’s interview, she says she’s happy lain prepared something. They’re not the entertainers on the boat. They return to the yacht, and Aesha tells Ellie to prepare for the drag queens. They’re coming in upstairs. Ellie directs Bri and Carrie about where to place everything sparkle, and in Carrie’s interview, she says she thinks Ellie is enjoying bossing. She’d be a great decorator. Captain Sandy calls Leah, who says she saw the Acropolis. The captain says she has a special treat for her. Jono tells Aesha that he was hitting a wall, but he’s good now, and over the radio, Aesha hears Carrie asking Ellie where the double-sided tape is. Ellie says she doesn’t know… and Aesha says, just fold the blue tape over. She asks what Bri is doing, and Bri says, blowing up balloons with the compressor. Ellie says, Bri is helping, and Aesha wonders how this conversation is still going. She loves it. She tells Jono that she’s noticed Ellie overstepping her role, and in Aesha’s interview, she says, Ellie thinks being chief stew is walking around the boat and telling people what to do. She’s making sure the balloons are in the right place. Thanks, Ellie. Aesha looks at the rainbow balloon wall and takes Carrie aside. She asks if Carrie thinks Ellie is overstepping, and Carrie says, yes. Aesha says, that’s not cool. When she’s here, she’s the one who delegates. Carrie says, it creates confusion. If she had to do that for a whole season, she’d be struggling with her tongue.

The guests dress in an ancient Grecian outfits, along with Aesha, and they all look surprisingly stunning. Stacey says, they’re all here. They’re all queer. Let the festivities begin. They say a quick prayer to Zeus and Aesha tells the crew, let’s roll, homies. Dinner is served, and Aesha tells Jono that the guests absolutely love it. Iain goes to get the drag queens, and I wonder if their hair will fit in the tender. Stacey says, there’s no such thing as extra extra in their world. Aesha radios Jono that they’re clearing the first course, then Ellie does too. As Ellie walks by, Aesha tells her that she’d already radioed Jono, but Ellie says she didn’t hear Aesha. In Aesha’s interview, she says, not once this whole season did Ellie not hear her say they were clearing on the radio. It’s the straw that broke the camel’s back for her. It’s too much.

Joe instructs Gael on night navigation, and in Gael’s interview, she says, Joe is encouraging. She loved that about him from the beginning. He didn’t look down on her and was willing to teach her. He’s being a good lead deckhand right now. If he dropped the petty resentment he has against her, he could be one of her best friends. Aesha says she’d like a word with Ellie and tells Ellie that she thought the after-dinner stuff was annoying, but feels it was a build-up. Ellie has been overstepping her job as second stew. She’s only to delegate if Aesha’s not around, not if she’s on the floor. Ellie acts like she’s never even thought of such a thing, and Aesha says, it’s been noticed. Ellie says she would never disrespect Aesha like that, and we flash back to Ellie harping about being second stew and bossing the other stews around. In Aesha’s interview, she says, they’re at the point where Ellie is being disrespectful of her position for her own ego, and she doesn’t give a sh*t. She’s had to coddle Ellie and she’s sick of it. In Ellie’s interview, she says, Aesha is blaming her and making her the scapegoat, and Aesha tells Ellie, it’s really frustrating and it can’t happen.

Next time, the finale, Ellie hopes she’ll be able to get through this without blowing a gasket; Leah arrives; Captain Sandy says, this is the biggest day of her life; the tender is inoperable, and Joe thinks he just ruined the captain’s day.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts, recaps, and the whole GH enchilada on Fridays)

General Hospital

Cody goes to the boathouse and says he got Sasha’s text. He’s here at her disposal. She asks if he’s ready for something fun and exciting, and he says, always. She says, surprise! and Mac, Felicia, James, and Georgie come out.

In the solarium, Tracy chastises Brook for being late to the meeting she called, and Brook says she was getting the kids ready for breakfast. Lucy says, a good boss would have served them breakfast or at least coffee, and Tracy says, Deception is under threat from Sonny Corinthos. An FBI agent was murdered on the property and obviously Sonny did it. Lois says, that’s conjecture, and Tracy says, Deception is vulnerable, and their friendly neighborhood kingpin could take them all down. Lois tells her to think rationally. Sonny hasn’t been charged and there’s no evidence linking him to the crime.

On the phone in his office, Michael asks someone to let him know when it’s fixed, when Josslyn walks in. She says, they need to save their mom from herself.

Carly tells Lulu that she hates feeling helpless, especially when she knows what needs to be done. Bring lucky home and get Lulu a transplant. The first part is difficult. Jason comes in, and she says, Lulu is running out of time.

Diane meets Sonny at the Pozzulo’s, and he asks if there’s a problem. She says, a big one. Alexis just framed herself for murder. A murder Diane is quite sure she didn’t commit.

Sasha says she’s prepared brunch and asks where Maxie and Bailey Lou are. Felicia says, Maxie is at a Deception meeting and Bailey Lou has the sniffles. James suggests they eat, and Sasha says, enjoy. Mac asks if she’s not joining them, but she says, it’s a family thing. Felicia says, she has to eat and they don’t want Cody to be lonely. Cody says, they can’t have that.

Maxie asks, who is she and what has she done with Lois? and Lucy asks if it hurts speaking like that. She thinks Lois is having a stroke and tells them to call 911. Lois says she’s okay. Tracy offered to pay for a dialect coach who gave her the tools to make her accent more palatable to buyers. Maxie says, she got rave reviews for her personal appearances and was a hit on Home & Heart. Natalia says, the ratings were through the roof, and Lucy says she feels they all should have been consulted. Maxie agrees, but Tracy says, it was Lois’s choice. They consult together all the time, and last time they ended up with a mobster investor who installed his moll and made them an accessory to murder. Lois says, Tracy is still upset that Sonny and Carly were doing boom-boom in her room-room, and Tracy says, don’t remind her.

Michael says, their mom is fine, and Josslyn asks if he thinks their mom and Sonny reuniting in Tracy’s bed sounds fine. She said it was a one-time thing, but they know her history, and he’s not concerned? He says he doesn’t think it’s their business, and she says, their mother being hurt, betrayed, and sent to prison isn’t their business? She tried to let go and let Carly make her choices, and it had serious consequences. No way did she suddenly forgive Sonny. She doesn’t buy that they’re back together, but she does buy that their mom gave Sonny an alibi, and it could blow up in her face.  

In the hallway, Carly tells Jason, communication with Doc and Laura is nearly impossible. They were on their way to a camp they think lucky is working at. Jason says, maybe he’s still there, but she says, he’s not and they can’t get in touch with Doc and Laura. Isaiah gave them Lucky’s recent location where he’s being held captive, but they found out the camp was abandoned and moved. Jason asks, who’s telling her this? and she says, Jack Brennan. He heaves a sigh.

Diane says, as an officer of the court, she suggests she and Sonny choose their words carefully, and he asks what Alexis’s status is. She says, they sent her home, and Alexis thinks that’s the end of it. He says, Diane doesn’t? and she says, of course (🍷) not. He asks if Alexis has been charged, and she says, not yet. He asks why she’s acting like he sent Alexis to Pentenville, and she says, evidence. It’s circumstantial, but Alexis has no alibi, and according to her sources, Alexis publicly threatened Cates, and she’s yet to provide an explanation for where and why she procured a firearm that two onlookers saw her chuck off the bridge at Blackstone Canyon. He asks, who? and she tells him, Elizabeth and his brother Ric.

Maxie says, she didn’t come here to discuss Sonny and Carly’s sex life. Let’s get back to why Tracy called the meeting. Tracy says, Sonny is a person of interest in John Cates’s murder and probably killed him, and Lois says, for the millionth time, they don’t know that’s true. Tracy says, it’s natural, reasonable, and accurate to assume, and Deception doesn’t need that kind of publicity. Natalia says, he’s a silent investor, not the face of the company, but Tracy says, if it leads the authorities to their books, they’ll have to explain where the money came from. If Sonny didn’t pull the trigger, he could have hired a hitman. Maxie says, so far, these are just baseless accusations. Sonny might get media attention, but when doesn’t he? They got a wonderful CFO who’s worked wonders with their books. Natalia is a gift Sonny gave them, and she thinks they should all remember that.

Sonny says, leave it up to Ric to insert himself. He’ll pay Ric a visit. Diane says, no need. It’s a matter of record, corroborated by Elizabeth. Alexis told her that they saw her chuck something off the bridge. He asks if she’s representing Alexis, and she says, no, because she’s representing him. He has a solid alibi. Alexis has none. He asks if she’s been charged, and Diane says, no, but she’ll be charged soon, tried and convicted. What is he going to do about it?

Josslyn says she knows Michael is thinking she’s on another anti-Sonny crusade, but she cares about mom. She just got off the RICO charges and now she’s an accessory to murder. Michael says, Josslyn is dealing in hypotheticals, which is not a good idea. Cates was a garbage human. He was an out-of-control animal, a coward with an ax to grind. Whoever killed him did the world a favor. She asks if he’s excusing murder, and he says he’s excusing killing a man who tried to hurt their family. He had Kristina arrested for killing her unborn child because of an ancient grudge. That’s the kind of man Cates was, and he’s not shedding a tear over that bastard’s death.

Jason says, Carly needs to stay away from Jack Brennan, and they go back into Lulu’s room. She asks, why? and Jason says, he’s dangerous. She says she can handle Jack. He gave her what she wanted. Jason asks, what was the cost? and she says, nothing. He says, nothing is free in that world. There’s an agenda. Do not get involved with Jack Brennan.

The family raves about the food, and Georgie says she wishes they could live by the lake. James says, this is where Cody saved him, and Georgie says, he’s told then a million times. Cody says he’s glad he was in the right spot at the right time, and James asks if Sasha sleeps over Cody’s every night. Cody wonders why he asks, and James tells him that Violet said they took a nap, so they must have sleepovers. He wonders if his mom would let him sleep over like Aunt Sasha does.

Maxie says she’s joining her family for brunch, and leaves. Natalia says she’s out too, and Tracy says, tell Sonny to review the morals clause in his investment agreement. Natalia says she will, and leaves.

Josslyn tells Michael that she’s sorry. She didn’t know. Is Kristina okay? Michael says, she’s devastated. He doesn’t think he’s ever seen her this broken. But instead of getting the space to get herself back together, she’s been hustled in and out of the PCPD, and now her mom is being investigated as a person of interest in John Cates’s murder. Josslyn says, who would think Alexis killed somebody? and he says, she’s being questioned, so the worst thing Josslyn can do is run around shouting conspiracy theories. If they think Alexis is fair game, what does she think that makes their mom?

Sonny asks what Diane is asking him to do, and she says, nothing. She’s his attorney and his interests take precedence, but she knows the man he is, and he won’t sit idly by and the mother of one of his children railroaded for a crime she didn’t commit. He says, it’s an impossible situation, and wonders why Alexis didn’t dispose of the gun better or come to him. She says, it’s a shame Alexis didn’t know how to dispose of a gun properly. Alexis is her best friend. Sonny says he knows, and she says, and they both know how Alexis’s mind works. When it comes to her children, she’ll act on instinct. If forced to choose between herself and her children, she’ll choose her children. He says, it’s a complicated situation, but it was under control, and she says, only he would classify this as under control. He says, it was. Now what does he do? Diane says, Alexis was protecting her and Sonny’s child. How do they get her off the hook?

James promises he’ll be good and actually sleep, but Felicia says, that’s a question for his mom. Maxie arrives and says, then it’s a good thing she’s here… or is it? Felicia says, of course (🍷) it is, and Maxie thanks Sasha. James says he wants to sleep over with Cody like Sasha does, and Maxie says she was definitely not prepared for that. Cody says, they don’t have sleepovers, but James says, Sasha is Cody’s friend, right? Cody says, Sasha is his girlfriend. Or at least he’d like her to be.

Jason says, Brennan has a powerful agenda. He tried to abduct Carly. She says, it was a miscommunication, and he says, when she was dealing with the Five Families (alfredo sauce), what did it cost her? She says, almost everything, and he says, the WSB has no honor or loyalty. They’re out for themselves. She says she doesn’t care. The only thing that matters is finding Lucky and saving Lulu. He has to understand that. He says he does.

Lucy tells Tracy that the dialect coach is good. Has she considered taking lessons? Tracy says, get out, and Lucy says, gladly. She leaves, and Tracy says, now she can have the quiche she’s been smelling all morning. She leaves, and Lois says, she’s in a mood. She asks if Brook is okay, and Brook asks, why? Lois says, she seems off her game this morning, and Brook says she’s distracted. Lois asks if it’s the whole Sonny thing, and Brook says, it’s concerning, but she’s sure they’ll figure it out. She can’t get a conversation she and Chase had with Violet out of her head. Lois says, she misses her dad, and Brook says, it wasn’t about Finn. Violet wanted to know when she and Chase are going to start a family.

Diane says, if no one takes responsibility, Alexis could spend the rest of her life in prison, and Sonny says, whatever happens with the case, he wants to know everything. She says she can relay the information as a friend. She expects a call soon and hopes they’re able to help outside the confines of a jail cell. She leaves.

Josslyn tells Michael, whatever is going on has to remain a secret for their mom’s sake, but Josslyn doesn’t understand how she could lie. Michael says, they don’t know she is, and she says, their mom supported Sonny, and he cheated and broke her heart. How can she stick her neck out for him? How did Michael repair his relationship with Sonny? Michael says, it’s pretty simple. He realized hating his father and cutting himself off from him cost more than finding a way to forgive him.

James asks why Sasha wouldn’t want to be Cody’s girlfriend. He’s the best. Georgie says, you don’t ask that kind of question. It’s private. Sasha and Cody go into the boathouse, and Cody says he’s sorry for putting her on the spot in front of an audience. She says, his family, and he says, for better or worse. She says she doesn’t know about that, but she knows she thinks she’d like to be his girlfriend. He says, thinks? and she says she knows that she knows. He says, so they’re doing this? and she says she guesses so. They kiss, and outside, Tracy says, so this is where breakfast is.

Carly asks if Jason thinks she and Lulu have similar personalities, and he says he never thought about it. But he can safely say no one in the world is like her. She says, Dante called her out and said she and Lulu weren’t particularly close in the years before Lulu’s coma. It’s a shame. They were tight once. They got each other. She saw a lot of herself in Lulu. Jason says, she could be tough, and she says, you wouldn’t want to get on her bad side. She was funny and could make or take a joke. She was smart and it was easy with them until… He says, it wasn’t? and she says she misses that Lulu, the one who got her, and she got into trouble with. She misses her cousin and wants her back.

Cody comes out with Sasha, and Tracy says she wanted Hades saddled, but she can see he’s otherwise engaged. And here’s the quiche she’s been smelling, but then was met with a box of instant oatmeal in the kitchen. Sasha says, there’s more than enough, and Tracy thanks her for the offer of food made in her kitchen. She’s just curious. Who asked Sasha to cater a brunch for the Scorpio people? Sasha says she asked Olivia, but Tracy says, it’s not Olivia’s to offer. She doesn’t pay Sasha to feed people who’ve wandered onto the property. Sasha says, it’s her day off. She invited them and paid for the food. Cody asks, what’s the problem? and Tracy says, he’s overstepped his bounds. She starts berating him, and Mac says, that’s enough.

Lois asks if Brook and Chase have talked about having a family, and Brook says, of course (🍷). They both know they want children. That’s not the issue. Lois asks, what is? and Brook says, they have no timetable or plan. Lois says, when they’re ready, they’ll figure it out, but Brook says, what if they’re not on the same page? Lois says she doesn’t see that happening, and Brook says, they both have professional goals. What if they don’t reach them at the same time? Lois says, they’ve barely been married 6 months. They’re young and have plenty of time. Brook says, it keeps running on a loop in her head non-stop, and Lois says, her biological clock is ticking? Brook says, sometimes it’s deafening, and Lois says, other times? Brook says she gets scared. They already have so much going on with their jobs and taking care of Violet. And they’re not married that long. If they throw a baby in the mix, what if it’s too much?

Michael tells Josslyn that he tried to punish their father for over two years, but it didn’t make him feel better. It amplified the pain, and he almost lost Willow. She asks if he’s telling her to just let it go, and he says, she can’t control their mom any more than their mom can control her. Just trust she knows what she’s doing. Josslyn says, it’s hard, but he says, she can do it. He has faith.

On the phone, Sonny says, find out where Ric is staying and let him know if he leaves. Natalia comes in and he asks what brings her by. She says she was at a meeting for Deception and the dead FBI agent came up. He says, what a tragedy, and she says she’s not so sure about that, but the murder isn’t what she’s concerned about. It’s the repercussions of his investment. He says, how so? and she says, Tracy Quartermaine is under the perception that he’s involved in the shooting. He laughs and says, she’s not the most reliable source. She says, Tracy thinks he’s a person of interest and he says, a lot of people are of interest. Cates had a lot of enemies. She says, be that as it may, Tracy may be able to invoke the morality clause, and he says, that’s where she comes in to protect his investment. She says, they have to face reality and move forward accordingly, and he says his daughter lost her child and might be charged with manslaughter. How does he move forward from that?

Carly says she keeps wishing her mom was here, and Jason says, she was the ultimate family matriarch. She say she thought that was Lila, and he says, they both earned the title. So will she. She says, that’s why she feels it’s important. Bobbie kept them all together and now that she’s gone, it’s her job to step up and do anything possible to bring Lucky home. She’s okay with cozying up to Jack. He says, then he guesses he’s done talking. She doesn’t do anything she doesn’t want to. She says she’s about to now. She’s about to ask him to go to Africa and bring Lucky home.

Mac says, if that’s the way Tracy treats her staff, it’s surprising anyone works for her. She should be ashamed. She hasn’t learned that no one likes a bully. James tells her to take his quiche. He gets cranky when he’s hungry too. He thinks she’s hangry. Tracy thanks him, but tells them to enjoy their brunch with the family. She’ll go back to the house and see what she can scare up. She leaves, and Georgie says she can’t believe James called Tracy hangry. Felicia says, and lived to tell the tale. Mac and Cody go inside, and Cody thanks Mac for stepping in to defend Sasha. Mac says, it was no big deal, but Cody says, it was to him. Maxie says, Tracy shouldn’t use her authority like that, not with Cody or his girlfriend. Cody says, thank God she said yes. He’d be embarrassed if she hadn’t. Mac says he’s glad he was here to witness it, and Cody says, him too. He’s glad for all of this. He thanks Mac for welcoming him into the family, and Mac thanks Cody for his patience until he could, and they hug.

Carly says, Jason is going to hate this. Jack is getting her Lucky’s location and when he does, she’ll give it to him. He has to find Lucky and bring him home. He says he will, and she says, Lucky knows and trusts him, and he has mercenary skills. He tells her that he said he’d go, and she says, he’s not the one she’s trying to convince. He already spent time away from his sons. She and his sons can’t lose him again. He says he promises to do everything to bring Lucky home, and she says, you too. He says, me too, and her phone rings. She says, it’s Jack.  

Josslyn says she thought she and Michael would be on the same page about Sonny, but he says, sometimes you’ve got to turn the page. She says, dad let him down, but he’s still loyal despite everything. Is it worth it to him? He says, his family is worth it, all of them, and dad is a part of it.  

Natalia says she’s so sorry. She knows this is low on Sonny’s list, especially with everything going on. How is Kristina? He says, Natalia is doing her job and doing it well. He’s seen the numbers. She thanks him, but says, still more important, how is Kristina and how is he? He says he’s worried about his little girl. Just when she gets her feet on the ground, they’re taken out. Cates did everything he could to her, but it wasn’t about Kristina. He’s glad Cates is gone. She says she doesn’t blame him, and he says, Kristina’s mother may take the fall. She says, that’s crazy, and asks if he can keep it from happening. He says, Alexis will not go down for murder on his watch.

Lois says, it sounds like Brook and Chase holding off for now is the most comfortable, but Brook says, it’s not. Ever since Violet brought it up, it’s all she can think about. She’s wondering if they should start trying. How does Lois feel about becoming a nonna sooner rather than later?  

Tomorrow, Tracy says, tell her it’s a lie; Alexis asks if Sonny is afraid that she’ll incriminate Kristina or him; and Carly tells Jack that Lulu’s life is on the line. There’s no time to waste.

⚖️ Justice For Johnny…

No surprise, he’s the one not actually charged with murder. Hopefully, the judge and/or jury takes this cowardice into consideration when the others are sentenced. Even better, I hope this second-string player testifies against them.

🍊 8 Oranges + 9 Lemons = …

Tamra felt Alexis needed as much support as Shannon. If I’d been on the show, here’s where I would look at the camera like Jim in The Office. Alexis said she’d stayed in her room for 13 hours because she didn’t want to kick Shannon when she was down. Another look at the camera, and I ask, why did you bring up those videos then? One group, including Alexis, went to a cooking class, while another, including Shannon, went to be zen in the forest. For sure I’d take the latter rather than baking with Tamra and Alexis. Alexis claimed she wanted to find a way to coexist, yet that’s definitely not what her actions are saying. We flashed back to Johnny J. saying he’s never loved anyone as deeply as he loves Shannon, and in Shannon’s interview, she said she felt stupid. She shouldn’t. Both Johnny J. and his new lady love are a-holes.

Heather didn’t give a flying what was going on. She was solely focused on her Family Equality fashion event and only cared if the women were still walking in it. Katie felt Gina had set her up, but Gina insisted she’d done nothing. Yeah. She only pushed Katie to say something to Fancy Pants about the paparazzi thing, then backed away not so slowly.

Emily pressed Shannon and Alexis to talk. Shannon said she’d had two days from hell, and the trip put her over the edge. I still can’t believe I’m on Team Shannon for any reason, but this whole thing is, as Emily so aptly put it, dirty and salacious. General Hospital

In Cyrus’s hospital room, Dex prepares a syringe. In the hallway on the phone, Nina talks with a client. She sees Sonny coming out of the elevator, and ducks around the corner. Sonny goes to the reception desk and asks where Cyrus’s room is. Dex is about to put the syringe into Cyrus’s IV, when there’s a knock on the window. Sonny peeks through the blinds that Dex stupidly left open and shakes his head. As Dex steps away, Cyrus grabs his arm. He asks what Dex is trying to do.

Josslyn runs into the hospital and asks Willow if her friend Adam Wright has been brought in. Willow says he has, and he’s with a doctor in exam room one, but she can’t go in there. Josslyn says she just wants to be nearby.

Finn examines Adam and tries to rouse him, while Elizabeth checks his vitals. A nurse shows Finn the pill packets and says, they may have been mixed with vodka. He says, that combo could do it. This kid meant business. He rubs Adam’s chest vigorously, telling him to wake up. Josslyn watches through the window.

Willow calls Carly and asks her to come to the hospital; Joss is here. Carly asks if she’s okay (maybe Willow should have led with that), and Willow says, she is, but she thinks Josslyn needs Carly. Carly says she’ll be right there.

Trina says, Esme must be relieved, and Esme says, yeah. Has Trina seen Spencer? He was supposed to bring Ace here. Trina says she hasn’t seen them, but it looks like Esme didn’t need that adorable baby boy to sway the judge’s opinion. She must be thrilled. Esme says, Trina must be disappointed in her sentence. She can understand why. Trina tells Esme not to presume knowing anything about her, but Esme says, come on. The revenge porn of Cameron and Josslyn, framing Trina for the crime. If the allegations were true and she was in Trina’s position, she wouldn’t be done with her until she was locked up forever.

Spencer tells Nikolas that he’s not leaving Port Charles. His life is here. His grandmother is here. Trina is here. Aunt Alexis is here and he’s not throwing that away. He’s not going to abandon everyone and everything just so he can go on the run with Nikolas. Nikolas says he knows he’s asking for a lot, but Spencer says, he’s not just asking for a lot; he’s asking for everything. Nikolas says, it’s the only option, at least for now, but Spencer says, it’s Nikolas’s only option, not his. Ace isn’t going with him, and neither is he. Nikolas says, it’s the only way for them to be together as a family. Spencer has to trust him on this. Spencer says, the thing is, he doesn’t trust Nikolas, and he’s not running away because he’s not like Nikolas. Nikolas says, doesn’t Spencer realize his brother is in danger if he stays here?

Elizabeth says, Adam’s blood pressure is dropping, and Finn asks if he’s had any history of substance abuse. Elizabeth says, he’s on dextroamphetamine, and Finn says, for ADHD? She says, correct, and he says, anything else? She says, he was brought in for a panic attack previously. Josslyn Jax brought him in, and she checked him in. Finn asks her to find out if he’s taken anything else, and she leaves.

In the hallway, Josslyn asks if Adam is all right, and Elizabeth says, they’re doing everything they can to help him, but she needs more information. Josslyn says she was there when he passed out. She called 911. Elizabeth asks if she’s the one who found the pills, and Josslyn says, yeah. She found them at the park. He was drinking and the pills had fallen out of his pocket. Elizabeth asks if Josslyn knows if he took them, and Josslyn says, no, but he couldn’t have taken them that long before she found him. Maybe an hour ago? Elizabeth says, it’s important they know as much about his medical history as possible. So has Adam used drugs in the past? Josslyn says, he has ADHD, so he’s taking something for that, and Elizabeth says, dextroamphetamine. Josslyn says, that’s it, and Elizabeth says, anything else? Josslyn says, not that she’s aware of, and Elizabeth says, what about the drinking? Josslyn says, Adam got really drunk New Year’s Eve, but other than that, she’s never seen him drunk. Elizabeth says, she’s been very helpful and thanks her for the info. Josslyn says, of course (🍷), and Elizabeth goes back into the exam room. Willow asks how Josslyn is holding up, and Josslyn says, Adam has been struggling for months. How did she not see it coming?

Sonny goes into Cyrus’s room and says he’s sorry. He didn’t mean to interrupt. Can he have a word with Mr. Renault? Dex asks if that’s okay with Cyrus, and Cyrus says, it’s fine with him. Mr. Corinthos’ timing is positively providential. Sonny asks, why is that? and Cyrus says he has some news that will uplift Sonny’s spirits.

Trina says her parents raised her to know right from wrong, and Esme says, her parents didn’t raise her. Not that she could even remember if they did. Trina says her point is, she believes in the justice system, and for it to work, it has to be fair. So does she want Esme to pay for the horrible things she did to Joss, Cam, and her? Of course (🍷) she does. Because Esme broke the law multiple times and deserves to be punished for her crimes. That’s only fair. But she doesn’t deserve to spend time in prison for some petty breaking and entering where no one got hurt. As much as she dislikes Esme, she found herself agreeing with the judge. Esme says she’s surprised Trina can be so rational about this, and Trina says she wants to live her life looking ahead. She’s leaving Port Charles soon, and she doesn’t want her very justified anger toward Esme to hold her back. Esme says, she’s leaving town… Trina says, don’t get too excited. It’s only for one semester, but she was accepted to study at the Sorbonne in Paris. Esme says, congratulations. That seems like an amazing opportunity. Trina says, it is, and Esme says, but she knows Spencer is going to miss Trina like crazy when she’s gone. Trina says, he might, if he wasn’t coming with her.

Finn says some medical stuff to Elizabeth, and the other nurse asks if they shouldn’t get approval from one of the Co-Chiefs of Staff. Finn says he has no time for waiting. Let’s go. Elizabeth tells the nurse that Finn knows what he’s doing, and the nurse jets.

Willow says, it’s not Josslyn’s fault, but Josslyn says, all the signs were there. She knew Adam was in trouble. Willow says, but she’s not a mind reader. She couldn’t have predicted Adam was going to try and take his own life. Did he ever talk about suicide with her? Josslyn says, no. He never used that word. But more than once, he talked about how the pressure was never-ending. She was so worried about him that she told the RA what was going on with him. Willow says, it sounds like she did the right thing. She tried to get Adam help. Josslyn says, but it didn’t work. She thinks that’s what pushed Adam over the edge. Carly comes out of the elevator, and Josslyn hugs her. She says, Adam tried to kill himself. She found him in the park. Carly tells Willow, thank you.

Spencer asks, what makes Nikolas think Ace is in danger? He liked it better when Ace and Esme were both living here with his grandmother, but still. Nikolas says, as long as Ace is in Esme’s care, his brother is in danger, and Spencer says he knows Nikolas hasn’t been around, so he might not know this, but Esme is actually a very good mother to Ace. Nikolas says, she’s playing a part. Showing people what they want to see. But at the core, Esme is still the same viper that caused destruction in both of their lives… Spencer says he actually does believe this version of Esme loves her son, and Nikolas says, whatever love Esme has for Ace is outweighed by her curiosity about her former life. Doesn’t he get it? Esme wants to remember. That’s why she’s searching for her past. That’s why she went to Windymere and broke in. Spencer asks how Nikolas would know about that, and Nikolas says he told Spencer; he’s been watching things. Whatever stories Esme makes up about her reasons for going there, they both know better. Spencer says he’s wondered about Esme at times, and who’s to say whether she’s gotten her memories back, but how can they know that for sure? They don’t have any proof. They don’t have any evidence to back it up. Nikolas says, they both know what her true nature is. Esme’s still the same person who tormented both of them and relished watching their family in pain. She’ll cause more pain than running away with Ace, or worse.

Sonny says, they’re going to be fine in here, aren’t they? and Cyrus says he thinks they will. Dex leaves, and Cyrus says, believe it or not, he’s happy to see Sonny again, calling him Mr. Corinthos. Sonny says, the nurse is gone. He can stop with the Mr. Corinthos nonsense. If he’s got something to say, say it quick.

Nina sees Dex and asks why he’s dressed like that. Was he just in Cyrus Renault’s room? Dex says, she shouldn’t be here, and she asks if Sonny is in with Cyrus right now. She moves toward the room, but he stops her, saying, he’s sorry, but she can’t go in there right now. She says, so he is in there.

Cyrus says, what Sonny needs to know is, he’s a sinner, and Sonny says, that’s not news. Cyrus says he knows he’ll never be able to fully repent for his past. He begs for forgiveness from God every day, but he doesn’t know that the gates of heaven will open for him after the things he’s done. Sonny says, that’s an awful big wind-up. Can he just get to the point? Cyrus says, this is why he now has to live a fully penitent life. He’ll continue to try and atone for his sins and accept his punishment with grace. Sonny says, tick… tock, and Cyrus says, Sonny doesn’t need to send anyone else to do his dirty work. Sonny asks, why is that? and Cyrus says he won’t be pressing charges against Sonny. The case will be closed.

Trina heads for the door, but Esme says, wait. What does Trina mean, she’s going to Paris? She can’t believe Spencer would abandon his brother like that. Trina says, Esme moved out of Laura and Doc’s place. She made the decision that Spencer would see a whole lot less of Ace. Besides, this is a really great opportunity. Esme says, for Trina. What about Spencer? Isn’t this really selfish of her? Trina asks Esme to let her finish. She was going to say, Spencer didn’t want to leave her either. Besides, it’s not like he has a job or anything that ties him down here. Esme says, what about his grandmother? and Trina says, Laura spent a summer in Europe trying to track down Spencer’s dad. She thinks Laura can handle Spencer being away for one semester. Esme says, Laura will probably be okay with this, but what about Ace? What about her? Trina says, what about you, Esme?

Spencer says he knows what the old Esme is capable of, but there’s got to be a better way than taking off with her child, and Nikolas says, if there was a way he could stay in Port Charles and fight for custody, he’d do that. But if he stays, he’ll go to prison. Spencer says, the way he did, but Nikolas says, Spencer’s sentence was fairly brief. In his case, he doesn’t know when he’d be free again, and that does Ace no good. Spencer says, but he does have to face the consequences of his actions at some point, right? He has a family and one of his kids is a baby, so at some point it has to stop being all about him. Nikolas says he’s doing this for Ace. For all his flaws and failings, this isn’t a choice between him and a better man. It’s a choice between him and Esme. Spencer says, what if Esme wasn’t a factor? and Nikolas asks how that would even be possible. Spencer says, his grandmother convinced Esme to turn herself in to the PCPD for breaking into Windymere, and as the current owner of the property, Ava has decided to press charges. In fact, her hearing is being held right now. (I guess Nikolas wasn’t watching that closely.) If Ava gets her way, Esme’s going to be spending some time in prison. That will give Nikolas a window of opportunity to squash any legal problems he might have and file for custody of Ace. Nikolas says, even if Esme does go to prison, she still has rights. She won’t just roll over. Spencer says, but Nikolas is the father. He has just as much a right of claim as she does, right? Spencer’s phone rings and he says, it’s his grandmother. Maybe she has an update. Hey, are you at the courthouse with Esme?… Yes… Okay, thank you for telling me. Nikolas says, well? and Spencer says, she pled guilty. She’s not going to have to serve any time. She got six months probation. So Esme’s basically a free woman.

Josslyn tells Carly that she found Adam in the park. He was just sitting there trying to play his guitar, drinking from a bottle of vodka. Carly takes Josslyn’s hand and says, thank God she went to look for him. He tried to take his life. Josslyn says she can’t believe he took it this far, when Finn and Elizabeth come out. Josslyn asks Finn, how is he? and Finn says he understands Josslyn found Adam and called the ambulance, and they thank her for that. But they can really only speak to family. All he can say is, they pumped his stomach. Elizabeth says, he’s in stable condition – Josslyn says, thank God – thanks to her quick thinking. Finn says, he should make a full recovery, and Josslyn thanks them. Carly says, she did the right thing, and Finn says, they do need to speak to Adam’s parents though. Elizabeth says, they have Adam’s parents’ contact information, but Josslyn says, please do not call his parents. Carly says, they have to, but Josslyn says, she doesn’t understand. His parents are the reason he tried to kill himself.

Sonny tells Cyrus, in the state of New York, the victim doesn’t need to press charges. For assault, the state can pursue the case without him. Cyrus says, while that may be true, he wonders how much effort the DA will want to invest when the key witness says they were the one who provoked the assault. Sonny had gone to a church, trying to commune with God and search for answers. He came upon Sonny, and instead of responding with kindness, he responded with hostility and bitterness, maybe even malice. In other words, Cyrus sinned against him. So if the DA takes the case to trial and he’s called to testify, he’ll repent and beg for forgiveness. Sonny says, that’s the exact opposite of what he told the cops. What was the change of heart? Cyrus says he doesn’t understand, and Sonny asks what Cyrus did. Because if he can reverse his position just like that, there has to be something in it for him. So what does he want in return? That’s what he’s asking. Cyrus says, nothing. He’s aware a man in Sonny’s position might just want to finish the job he started. And since getting out of Pentenville, he’s really come to appreciate his freedom. His life might be really small now, but he cherishes it and he’d like to keep living it. Is that so hard to understand? Sonny says, for an average person, maybe, but for Cyrus, he doesn’t believe a word Cyrus is shoveling at him. Cyrus laughs and asks if Sonny would believe another person helped him see the error of his ways, and Sonny asks, who got to him? Cyrus says, the person asked him not to say, but Sonny says, who? Cyrus says, let him keep his word. It’s the only thing he has left.

Nina tells Dex, ever since Sonny found out what she did, he hasn’t been thinking clearly. She’s worried about him. If anything happens to him… Dex says, if Sonny wants her to know something, he’ll tell her himself. He’s genuinely sorry that it’s come to this. She says, her too. She’s not giving up on Sonny. She’s not going to stop loving him. She’ll do anything for the man that she loves. She walks away.

Josslyn tells Finn, Adam doesn’t have a good relationship with his parents. He would not want them to be involved. And he’s not a minor; he’s over 18. That has to count for something, right? Finn says, he’s currently unconscious and his parents are next of kin. They have to be notified. He’s really sorry, but that’s hospital procedure. Elizabeth says she knows Josslyn and knows her heart is in the right place, but if that was Cameron in there, doesn’t Josslyn think she should be notified? Josslyn says, it’s not the same thing. Adam’s parents are the problem. He’s terrified of them. He got an A-minus on a test, and they considered that a failure. Finn says he understands, but legally, Adam’s parents need to be notified. Carly thanks him and says, do what he needs to do. Finn and Elizabeth leave, and Carly sits down with Josslyn. Josslyn asks if they can’t at least wait until Adam wakes up and ask him if he wants his parents to know, and Carly says, she’s heard a lot about Adam’s parents this semester, hasn’t she? Josslyn says, it’s crazy the amount of pressure they put on him. The way he talks, they don’t even see him. It’s just about him getting the best grades to get into the right med school. Carly says, he seems to be leaning a lot on Josslyn too, and Josslyn says, yes. She thought she was helping. Clearly not. Carly says, she didn’t do anything wrong. Adam is lucky to have a friend like her. Josslyn says, when Adam’s parents find out what he did, Adam is never going to forgive her.

Esme tells Trina that she’s Ace’s mother and she thought Spencer wanted to be a part of his little brother’s life. Trina says, Spencer will always be part of Ace’s life. He’s just giving Esme the space that she said she wanted. Esme tells Trina that she said she wanted space. She didn’t say she wanted Ace’s brother on another continent. Trina says, it’s not like they’re not coming back to Port Charles. They’re going to be in Paris for one semester. (IKR? Again, everyone is acting like this is forever.) Esme says, what if they love living there and that one semester extends into the summer, and they decide to live there for another year? Spencer can party his way through Europe, leaving his brother totally behind. Trina says, Spencer is not going to do that. He’s way to loyal to Ace. Esme says, Trina is in love with Spencer. Of course (🍷) she’s going to say that. Trina says she can’t believe she has to defend Spencer to Esme, of all people. What has he done except help her and Ace? Esme says, Ace loves his brother. He lights up every time Spencer walks into the room, and Ace is too little to understand the difference between a parent and a brother. How is Ace going to understand Spencer hasn’t just completely abandoned him.\?

Spencer tells Nikolas that he doesn’t understand how this could have happened. Esme gets six months probation and no time in jail? Nikolas says, Esme wasn’t on trial for the revenge porn of Josslyn and Cam, or for framing Trina. This case was just about breaking and entering into Windymere. Like he said, Esme wouldn’t have broken into Windymere unless she thought it would help her get her memories back. Spencer flashes back to the interrogation room and realizing that Esme remembers. Nikolas says, if Esme was truly committed to starting a new life with Ace as his devoted mother, wouldn’t she want to avoid Windymere at all costs? Spencer remembers Esme calling him Spence, and Nikolas asks what he’s thinking. Spencer says he doesn’t know anything for sure. It’s really more so just a feeling. Nikolas says, a feeling about what? and Spencer says, Esme may not be telling the whole truth about why she broke into Windymere. She said something. It was a really, really small thing, so it might not mean anything. Nikolas asks what she said, and Spencer says, she called me Spence. That was the name she called him the whole time they were together, and she hasn’t called him that since she lost her memory. But then, earlier today at the PCPD, she called him Spence. It wasn’t just what she said, it was how she said it. It was the same tone, it was the same inflection, everything. It could just be a coincidence. Nikolas says, he knows better. It’s proof that Esme’s lying. She must have gotten her memories back. Spencer asks how they know that for sure, and Nikolas says, they can’t as long as she denies it, but is he really willing to trust her? Does he want to risk his brother’s life for Esme?

Willow says she’s got a call in to PCU requesting Adam’s parents’ contact information, and Finn says, after a psyche consult, he’s sure Adam will be put on a 72-hour hold. Maybe this will be a wake-up call for his parents to start taking better care of their son. Willow says, maybe.

Carly tells Josslyn, the situation with Adam’s parents sounds terrible. She can’t imagine putting that kind of pressure on her kid, but he tried to kill himself. This is really serious. Now his parents will be able to give him the support he needs. Adam’s clearly crying out for help. Josslyn says she just wishes she’d done something sooner.

Dex puts the wrapped syringe in a trashcan and sees Sonny in the hallway. He asks if Sonny changed his mind about Renault, and Sonny says, Cyrus is still poison in Port Charles. They’ve got to deal with him. They’ve just got to figure out another way. Dex says, what about the assault charge against Sonny? and Sonny says, somebody convinced Cyrus not to testify. Dex says, without the victim’s testimony… and Sonny says, Scorpio isn’t going to risk embarrassment losing a weak case. He’s just trying to figure out who convinced Cyrus to drop the charges. Dex says he might know, and Sonny says, who? Dex says, Cyrus wasn’t alone when he got here. There was someone in his room with him. Sonny says, who? and Dex looks down the hall at Nina.

Trina says, with Spencer out of the country, this could be Esme’s chance to prove she can go it alone as Ace’s mom. And yes, Spencer has helped out a lot, but it’s time for him to take a step back. Esme made the same point when she moved out of Laura’s place. Esme asks if she’s supposed to thank Trina now, like Trina is doing her this big favor, and Trina says, Esme can look at it however she wants, but she wants Esme to know that not for one second did they question her abilities as a mom. They were only thinking about Ace. She and Spencer don’t think about Esme at all. She has to go. She tells Esme, congratulations. She got what she wanted. Trina walks out.

Nikolas asks when Esme will be back for Ace, and Spencer says, the hearing is over. She’s a free woman, so any minute now. Nikolas says, they’re running out of time. If Spencer won’t come with him, Spencer has to give him Ace to get him out of Esme’s grasp. This is their only chance. Spencer says, when Ace was born, he was certain Nikolas was going to come back, and when he didn’t, he was furious with Nikolas. He swore he was going to make sure Ace had a stable childhood no matter what. Nikolas says he knows and he’s sorry. He shouldn’t have left. It wasn’t fair for him to leave Spencer to pick up the pieces. He knows it looks like he’s running away again, he swears this time it’s different. He’s not running away to escape punishment. He’s running away to protect his son. Let him be a father to Ace. And to Spencer. Let him do the right thing for their family. Let him save his son.

Elizabeth says, as awful as that was, it was nice seeing Finn back in his element. He thanks her for backing him up with the nurse. He realizes she was just following procedure. She says, yes, but he was making the right call.

Carly says, Josslyn tried to help Adam and he pushed her away. Then when he really needed her help, she was there for him and did the right thing. He’s going to understand. She’s so proud of Josslyn. Willow comes out and says she’s sorry to interrupt, but she thought Josslyn would want to know Adam is stabilized now, in case she wants to see him. Josslyn says she does. She just needs to grab something from her car. Carly stops her and says, or they could give him a night to absorb what happened and see him tomorrow. Josslyn says, no. She needs to see him today. Besides, she has something that belongs to him. She’ll be right back. She leaves, and Willow asks if Josslyn realizes she saved Adam’s life, but Carly says, no. She feels like she should have known what he was going to try.

On the phone, Nina says she needs confirmation first thing tomorrow, when Sonny comes up behind her. He asks what she did. What did she promise Cyrus? She says, nothing she couldn’t afford to part with. His freedom is that important to her. He asks, what made her think it was a good idea to strike a deal with Cyrus? and she says, Cyrus is going to drop all the charges against him, a fight that she caused. Sonny wouldn’t have attacked Cyrus if he wasn’t so upset with her. She’s caused a lot of trouble and made some mistakes. Everything is falling apart, and if she could go back in time, she would. She would change how she handled things, but that’s not a possibility. What is a possibility is her making a deal with Cyrus. All she’s trying to do is clean up the mess she made. He says, next time she gets the urge to help him, don’t. He starts to walk away, but she calls to him and he stops. She says she has to do something, and he says, this is his life. Stay away from his business. As a matter of fact, stay away from him. He stalks off, all dark Sonny like.

Elizabeth says, Adam is really lucky Finn cared more about saving his life than getting someone to sign off on his diagnosis. In life or death, there’s just no time to second guess. He says, they all made a difference in helping that kid. His life depended on making a split-second decision. It reminded him of why he loves being a doctor. It also reminded him of what he stands to lose if he can’t be one.

Carly tells Willow, on one hand, she’s very proud of Josslyn, of how she handled the situation. Willow says, on the other hand? and Carly says she hates how Josslyn feels responsible for him. We just want to protect our kids, right? Willow says, until life gets in the way. Josslyn comes back and says she’s ready to see Adam. If they don’t mind, she’d prefer to go in alone. Carly says, okay. They’ll be right here if she needs them. Josslyn thanks them and goes to the exam room.

Josslyn sees Adam unconscious and hooked up to oxygen. She sets down her stuff and his guitar and goes over to the bed. She says, it’s me, Josslyn, and sits down. She says she brought his guitar from the park. She knows how much he loves it. She takes his hand and says she’s going to stay with him until he wakes up. Because he’s not alone.

Nikolas says, Spencer has to know that taking Ace away with him is the best option for his brother, and Spencer says, the points he’s making about Esme are valid. If she does get her memories back, she has zero incentive to be honest about it. Nikolas says, so Spencer will let him take Ace with him? and Spencer says, yes. Nikolas says, he’s making the right decision, and Spencer says, his blankie is in his room. Nikolas goes to Ace’s room – even though he would have no clue where it is and the apartment has more than one floor – and Spencer says he really hopes he gets to see Ace again so he can keep reminding Ace how much he loves him. He bounces and kisses Ace and says, when he first learned about Ace, he wasn’t sure how to feel. And then he saw Ace and all he had was pure love for him. All he ever wanted for Ace was happiness and safety and love. Nikolas stands in the doorway, and Spencer says he doesn’t know what he’s doing, but he thinks he’s making the right decision. He hopes Ace remembers always that he has an older brother who loves him very much. Nikolas comes out, and Spencer says, if he ever hurts Ace, if he ever abandons him… Nikolas says, never, but Spencer says, listen to him. If he ever hurts Ace, he will find Nikolas and he will make him pay. Nikolas says he knows that.

Spencer says, he likes grapes, but they need to be cut into quarters, so he doesn’t choke. And as Nikolas can see, he’s a very good sleeper. (Ace has basically been passed out through this whole scene.) He likes to be read bedtime stories before bed; it helps him calm down. Nikolas says, got it. He asks Spencer to please come with them. The transition would be so much easier on his little brother, and honestly, he’d love it too. Spencer can’t know how much he’s missed him. Spencer says he’s glad he’s been able to play the role he has in Ace’s life. He has a life with Trina now, so he can’t. Nikolas says he understands, but he promises that one day, they’ll both be back. Spencer tells him not to make promises he can’t keep. Not to him, not to Ace. Nikolas says he swears they will, and Spencer says, just make sure that he’s looked after. That’s what’s most important. He hands Ace to Nikolas, and Ace barely opens an eye. And in perhaps the stupidest move Spencer has ever made, he opens the door, and Nikolas leaves with Ace.

Elizabeth tells Finn, good news. The doctor Muldoon saw in Beechers Corners is in Port Charles and she’s willing to meet with them. This could be his best chance to beat the malpractice suit.

Carly says she told Josslyn that Adam’s parents will only want the best for him. She sincerely hopes that’s true. Willow says, parents can have all the good intentions in the world, and they can still let their children down.

Nina says she talked to the station. Cyrus has his time slot as soon as Sonny’s case is officially thrown out. Then he can start spreading the Good Word. He says, praise the Lord, and she tells him, sure. Whatever you say. He smiles.

Sonny is in the elevator with Dex, and says, Dex impressed him today. Dex says he didn’t do anything, but Sonny says, the fact Dex was going to follow his orders lets him know he can count on Dex. Dex thanks him, and Sonny says, any questions? Dex says, just one. What are they going to do about Cyrus? Sonny says he’s going to make that bastard wish he hadn’t stopped Dex from putting him out of his misery.

Trina bursts into the exam room, and Josslyn thanks her for coming, hugging her. Trina says, of course (🍷). She dropped everything as soon as she got Josslyn’s text. How’s Adam? Josslyn says, the good news is, she found him, so the paramedics got him to the hospital in time. But she has no idea what she’s going to say to him when he wakes up.

Spencer leans on the mantel and notices Ace’s pillow (I think) got left behind. He scoops it up and opens the door. Esme is there.

Tomorrow, Esme says she’s taking Ace home, but Spencer says, she can’t; Nina says, if they don’t believe her, ask Michael; and Willow wants nothing more to do with someone. I’m hoping it’s Michael, but I’m guessing it’s Nina.
