December 20, 2024 – It’s Not Christmas Eve In Port Charles Without Lasagna & Feliz

Standard

What I Watched Today

(The whole GH enchilada on Fridays; the other days, who knows?)

There are a couple bites out of the enchilada today because, Christmas. For whatever reason, they made it earlier this year and I had stuff to do.

General Hospital

At Maxie’s, James is explaining a game to Mac, then asks, where’s Spinelli? Spinelli walks in saying he comes bearing tasty treats, and James warns Mac that Georgie cheats. Maxie says she told James about not throwing shade when someone isn’t there to defend themselves, but Spinelli says he’s sure the Christmas spirit will prevail. He reminds James that he was allowed to open one present if he kept things copacetic.

In Rice Plaza, Laura tells her assistant that Santa will give out gifts, she’ll speak, and they’ll light the tree. Her assistant says, the football players are here with the gifts, and she has to show them where they go. She leaves, and Laura sees Trina. Trina says, Laura must be happy to have Christmas with her family, and Laura says she’s pinching herself. Lucky and Lulu haven’t been home for Christmas in years. Trina says, Spencer would have loved it.

Jack tells Anna, merry Christmas, and she says, if it’s not the Christmas Grinch. Is he here to steal the kids’ toys?

Alexis lets Kristina in and asks if she forgot her keys, but Kristina says she didn’t want to risk Molly. Alexis asks if this is the way it’s going to be, that they both can’t be in the same room, and Kristina says, for now. She’s planning on spending Christmas at dad’s.

Michael sees Sasha in the nook and says he thought she had the night off. She says she’s heading to Maxie’s for her first Scorpio Christmas. Does he need something? He says, Monica wants some tea, but he can get it, and Sasha says she knows Monica’s favorite blend. She’ll do it. She smells the tea and looks a little sick. He asks if she’s okay, and she says she’s just nervous being around family members. How is he doing? He says, the house feels empty without Wiley and Amelia and tomorrow will be worse. She says, Willow is letting him see the kids on Christmas, isn’t she?

Drew tells Nina that Willow took the kids to the playroom, and thanks her for inviting them. She says, he knows damn well she didn’t invite them. Why did he show up here?

Curtis says he’s glad Marshall could make it. Look who’s here. Stella says, he’s a sight for sore eyes, and Poria says, look who made it. Marshall says, nothing could keep him from the family on Christmas, and Stella hugs him. She says, he looks fabulous.

Sonny arrives at Carly’s with a covered dish, and says, you can’t have Christmas Eve without lasagna. Carly says, Lucas has to work, but they’ll save him some, and he asks, where’s Josslyn? She says, upstairs. She’s putting on a brave front. She asks if he’s talked to Michael, and he says, they’re coming, right? She says, he and Willow separated, and Willow and the kids are at Nina’s. He says he knew something was going on, and Carly says, Willow and Drew slept together.

Jack tells Anna that he’s no Grinch. He’s soaking up the wonder and excess of his first American Christmas. Anna says, he was here last year, but she guesses there’s not much holiday cheer in Pentenville. He says, she doesn’t let him get away with anything. That’s why she enlisted Carly to bug his office. She says she doesn’t know what he’s talking about, and he says, she had a government issue listening device. Anna says, Carly is resourceful, and he says, no hard feelings. Can he buy her a drink? They can commiserate about being alone on the holiday. She tells him, speak for himself. She’s spending the holiday with loved ones. That reminds her, she’s still got shopping to do. Merry Christmas.

Maxie says, Lulu being back is the best Christmas present ever, and James asks when Cody and Sasha are coming. Maxie says she told him that Cody isn’t coming, and he says he was hoping Cody would change his mind. He finally has an uncle, and he should be here for Christmas.

Michael says, he and Willow and the kids are having Christmas breakfast at the MetroCourt, and Sasha says, she’s sorry about what’s happening. He says, it’s nice to have someone to talk to. She’s a good friend. She says, he won’t be alone tonight, and he says he’s going to his mom’s. Christmas is better with kids, even if they’re not his. She gives him the tea and he says he’ll go give it to Monica. As he’s leaving, Sasha says, Michael… Merry Christmas, and he says, merry Christmas. Enjoy her family.

Carly tells Sonny that Michael got a nanny cam and that’s how he caught them. When the video was played, it was a mess. Sonny asks if that’s why Jason beat up Drew, and she says, yeah. He can say it. She was wrong about Drew, and he told her so. He says he’s sorry Drew turned out to be a snake. She, Michael, and even Willow don’t deserve to be put through this. But mark my words. Drew is going to pay for what he did.

Drew says he thought he and Nina were fine, but she says she didn’t say no because she thought he’d have the decency not to show up. Drew says, they were invited, so they’re here, and Nina says, in her home. He says, where Willow and her grandchildren are staying. Does he need to remind her that he had a hand in her and Willow’s reconciliation? Nina says she hasn’t forgotten anything, and he says, he’s sorry. His feelings for Willow are strong… Nina says she recalls how strong his feelings are… on the desk… on the floor… on the couch… in her bed… Willow comes in and asks if everything is okay, and Nina says she was just wishing Drew a merry Christmas. She leaves the room, and Willow asks if Drew would like a drink. He says, yes, please, and in another room, Nina makes a call. She says, I need you here now.

Kristina says she wanted to stop by and give Alexis her present, and Alexis says she has something for Kristina too, but she thought she had until tomorrow to wrap it. Kristina says, Alexis didn’t need to get her anything. Alexis got her through the year and that’s enough. She appreciates her. Alexis says, it’s been a hell of a year. She would do the same thing again. She would walk through fire for all her girls. Kristina says she’s sorry that the last time they were all together she ruined it by fighting with Molly. Alexis says, they weren’t supposed to lose Sam, and Kristina says, they weren’t supposed to lose Adela either. She’s trying to accept it and hopes Alexis knows that she loves her, even though she can’t be here. Alexis says she loves Kristina too, and Molly. And she’ll never stop hoping Molly and Kristina will be close again.

Portia tells Marshall, TJ can’t make it, but Trina will be here soon. Trina is back in school and back on track. Marshall says he’s glad to hear Heather is out of the picture, and Portia says, thanks to Curtis. Marshall says, it’s nice not to have things hanging over your head. How are things at Aurora? Curtis says he’s going to wait until Trina gets here to answer.

Laura says she heard Trina has gone back to PCU. It’s good she’s moved on with her life. Trina says she hopes Laura doesn’t think she forgot Spencer, but Laura says, Spencer would want her to move on and enjoy her life. Trina says she appreciates Laura saying that, and Laura says, she’s grateful Spencer experienced great love. As someone who’s experienced more than one great love, Laura wants her to know that she can find love again. Laura’s assistant needs her, and Laura says, duty calls. Enjoy her Christmas with her family and give them her best. She leaves and Kai comes into the plaza. He tells Trina, happy holidays.

Josslyn comes downstairs and Carly says, the donation to the community shelter hasn’t been picked up. She’ll be right back. She leaves, and Josslyn tells Sonny that she guesses it’s just them. He says he’s sorry for what happened to Dex. He has a lot of regrets about what went down. He knows Josslyn loved Dex and he loved her. He wishes he had the chance to say he’s sorry. Josslyn says she was hard on Dex for working for Sonny. And she’s been very hard on Sonny. He says, a little bit, and she says, Dex accepted him for who he is. Dex saw who he is and helped her to see the world is not so black and white. No one is all good or all bad. So for the sake of everybody they have in common, especially those little girls upstairs, peace. He says, peace, and they hug.

Felicia calls Sasha, who says she’s on her way. Felicia says she’s glad she caught Sasha. James has been asking about Cody non-stop, and Mac isn’t saying anything, but he looks so sad. She was thinking she would call and invite him. Would it make her uncomfortable? Sasha says, not at all. Cody should be with family. But don’t call. She’s got this.

Nina thanks Ava and Ric for coming. Help themselves to a drink. Ava tosses Ric her coat, and he leaves. Ava asks, where’s Drew? and Nina says, with Willow on the kids in the other room. She can’t believe he showed up after he blew up Willow’s marriage. Ava says, Nina didn’t say that in front of Willow, and Nina says she wanted to. She doesn’t know how long she can look at his smarmy face and not want to punch in his perfect teeth. She needs a drink. Ava says, she can’t risk it, and Nina says, this sucks. It was supposed to be a memorable Christmas. Ava says, she needs to focus, or she could lose her daughter, and Nina says she’s got it.

Jack goes to Bobbie’s and sees the Closed sign. Carly comes out, and he says, it’s a Christmas miracle. Santa read his letter. She says, for his entire life he’s been on the naughty list, and he knows it, and he says, it takes one to know one.

Kai says, his team collected toys for Santa to hand out to the kids, and Trina asks why he’s not home. He says he has to get ready for the next game. Some of the guys are getting together. Professor Donahue accepted their extension, and they can do their presentation for her after break. Does she want to schedule a time to rehearse? She says, another time. Focus on the game. He says, cool. Enjoy her holiday. He’ll catch her in the new year

Anna tells Laura, merry Christmas, and Laura asks if she’s staying for the tree lighting. Anna asks if Lulu will be attending, and Laura says she thinks Lulu should be here any minute. Anna asks if Lulu knows about her and Charlotte, and Laura says, she means the shooting.

Ava says, Nina got what she wanted. Willow and her grandchildren are living with her and Michael is out of Willow’s life. Don’t blow it over Drew. Nina says, he makes her want to scream. Willow and Drew walk over to Ava and Ric, and Willow says she didn’t realize they were having more company. Ava introduces Ric, and Willow says, he’s Molly’s dad. Ava says, Willow’s mother took pity on them. They had nothing to do. Nina asks, how are the kids? and Willow says, perfect. Drew got them perfect gifts. Drew says, Scout helped him pick them out, and Ric says he heard about the changes at Aurora, and Nina says, what changes? Ric says, she might have a new boss. Drew is out and Michael Corinthos is in.

Diane shows up at Alexis’s, and Alexis asks if she shouldn’t be on her way to the airport. She’s going to miss her flight. Diane says she was hoping Alexis would reconsider and accompany her to St. Barth’s, land of sexy single French men and $100 lobster dinners. Alexis says, none of that sounds appetizing. She’s not going to leave Molly. Diane suggests they take her, but Alexis says she’s sure Molly is working as a distraction. She’s trying to muster up the energy to decorate. Diane says, why? She’s just going to take it down in a week. Alexis says she wants to normalize anything for Molly and Kristina. She misses Sam so much. Diane says she’s sorry and hugs her.

Michael asks if Sonny made lasagna, and Sonny says, it’s not Christmas Eve without it. Kristina and Josslyn go to the kitchen for hot cider, and Sonny asks how Michael is doing. Carly told him about Drew and Willow. What can he do? Michael says, he can turn back time, and Sonny says he wishes he could. Carly said he let Willow take the kids. Michael says he has his reasons, and Sonny says he’s glad Michael didn’t do what he did, use him and Morgan against their mother.

Stella says, Trina is here. Let’s hear the big news. Curtis says, they’re looking at the permanent CEO of Aurora Media. Drew tried to double-cross him, but he and Michael outmaneuvered him.

Drew says, Curtis was responsible for the unfinished document being released. Michael claimed he bought the stock to avoid a hostile takeover, but the stole the company from him. Willow says she can’t believe Michael would do something like that, and he says he’s glad they didn’t destroy the company further. Nina asks how Michael is going to run both ELQ and Aurora, and Drew says, Curtis is CEO of Aurora. Nina asks if Nina needs help in the kitchen and suggests Ric help too. Ric follows them, grabbing a bottle of liquor off the bar on his way. Willow tells Drew that Michael is going after him because of them. First, he pretended they were fine, but rather than confront her, he let the video come out. Now he steals Drew’s company. She’s beginning to feel like she doesn’t know Michael at all.

Alexis says she hates the rift, but nothing works to fix it, and Diane says, it’s not her issue to fix. It’s between the girls. Alexis is grieving for Sam and it’s time to focus on herself. Alexis says she’s trying to give Molly some kind of Christmas. Molly lost her child, her sister, her partner, and her home. And she wants to pitch all this crap out the door. She shoves a box of decorations with her foot, and Diane says, it might make her feel better. Would Alexis like her to stay? Alexis says she wants Diane to go and have a good time. She’ll muddle through somehow. Diane says, she doesn’t have to muddle alone. There’s someone who loves Molly just as much as she does and she bets they have no plans on Christmas. Alexis says, no, and Diane asks if she can’t put her grief aside for the sake of her daughter’s Christmas. Alexis asks if Diane doesn’t have a plane to catch, and Diane says, just think about it, for Molly’s sake. Alexis says, have a nice flight.

Cody comes into the nook and asks, where’s the leak? Sasha says, there is no leak. She needed to talk to him, and she wasn’t sure he’d come. He says, she tricked him. He thought she couldn’t find a plumber on Christmas Eve. She says, precisely. She’s been invited to dinner with the family. He says he’s not going. She must be relieved that they’re not repeating the weird awkwardness at Thanksgiving. She says, he must have been at a different dinner. She had a lovely time with her new family. He says, she can’t tell him that she wasn’t uncomfortable, and she says she had her moments, but they’re both adults, they both live here, and they’re both Scorpios. They have to get used to seeing each other at family gatherings. He says, it’s good she’s leaning into the family thing. He’s not and he doubts he’ll be missed. She says, he always does this. He assumes the worst about himself. She doesn’t know who will be more disappointed, Mac or James. She knows Felicia and Maxie want him to be there too. Believe it or not, he deserves a family. Let us in.

Laura tells Anna that Lulu doesn’t know about the shooting. With everything else going on, she didn’t want it in the mix. When Charlotte gets home safe and she finds the right moment, she’ll tell her. Anna says, she’ll have a lot of questions, and Laura says, it was an accident. Anna says, she’ll never forgive herself, but Laura says, she must. They all have. She has, Charlotte has, and she knows Lulu will too.

Jack asks if he’s in disgrace with Carly or are they okay, and she says, he lied about being able to contact Valentin. He says, she bugged his office and browbeat him into calling, and she says, Valentin wasn’t there, so he was no help at all. He says, there’s a long-standing tradition with warring armies that they lay down their arms on Christmas. What does she say? He doesn’t want war with her at any time. She says, the grill is cold, but she can make sandwiches and has food in the car she’s taking to the shelter. She can make him a care package. He says, that’s very kind, but room service at the MetroCourt will do. He starts to leave, but she says, wait.

Laura tells her assistant that she wants to try to keep on schedule. Doc is cooking and she can’t wait to see her family around the dinner table.

Kristina says she’s sorry about Dex, and Josslyn says she knows Kristina had a rough year. Kristina says she’s going through the motions. It’s hard to find anything to celebrate. Donna comes down and says, they look sad. She knows what will cheer them up. She leads them upstairs.

Sonny says he regrets using Michael and Morgan against their mother. He was angry and wanted to hurt her and he was absolutely wrong. Michael says he can’t put his kids through that kind of pain, and Sonny says, he’s a good father and a good man. Michael says he’s not sure about the second one. Sonny says he heard Michael owns Aurora, and Michael says he stole it from Drew. Sonny laughs and says, that’s my boy. They clink glasses.

Trina says, Drew is Curtis’s friend, but Curtis says, not anymore. Stella says, interesting, and Marshall says, he’s all set, no funny business from Michael? Curtis says he had Michael sign a five-year contract, iron clad, and Trina says, you go. Stella says she can’t wait to see what Tracy has to say about it. She needs to check on the food. Trina and Marshall go with her to help, and Portia asks if Curtis is okay. Curtis says he knows he deserves the job as CEO, but he hates that he had to resort to the same ruthlessness Drew has shown. And he hates that he lost a friendship. Portia says, Drew should feel that way, but she doesn’t think he is. Curtis fought fire with fire. Curtis tells her that he never thought he would say it, but he won’t be sorry when Drew leaves for DC.

Anna arrives at Maxie’s, and Maxie says, Anna was alluding to a huge surprise, but Anna says, it’s not quite here yet. Spinelli answers the door to Sasha, and says, greetings, newbie. Felicia says, no Cody, and Sasha says she tried. James runs out and asks if Uncle Cody is with her, but she says she’s so sorry. He won’t make it this year. James mopes, and Mac hugs Sasha. He says, it’s nice to see her, but he’s obviously disappointed about Cody.

Willow tells Drew that she and the kids are having breakfast with Michael. She hopes nothing goes wrong. He says he doubts it will. She’s a great mom and Michael is a great dad. She says she can’t believe he said something kind about Michael. On the side, Ava asks if Ric is enjoying the show, and he tells her, and they say he’s sleazy. Willow is looking at Drew like he walks on water. Ava says, she’s seriously infatuated. She wonders if that will change, now that fantasy has morphed into reality, and Ric says, time will tell. Willow’s world blew up and Drew’s making the most of that. She says, that’s for them to figure out, and he tells her, so says the woman who gave up difficult to get reservations to help a friend. She says, they can still celebrate, and he says, they’ve got mistletoe. She says, there’s no mistletoe, and he says, use her imagination. They almost kiss, but his phone rings. He says, what is it? and Alexis says she needs to see him. He asks if Molly is okay, and she says, that’s up to him. Can he come over?

Ric arrives at Alexis’s house, and he says he hopes it’s not for nothing. Why is he here?

Mac tells James, it’s a bummer about Cody, and James says, yeah. Mac says he’ll let James in on a secret. He feels the same way too. Don’t take it personal. Some people don’t like parties. James says, Cody likes horses more than people, and Mac says, he likes James. Why don’t they go visit him after Christmas? They can go riding together. James says, okay.

In the kitchen, Maxie says, ginger ale. Morning sickness sucks. Sasha says, it comes in waves. She’ll be okay in a bit. In the living room, Felicia says, still no surprise, and Anna asks, where’s Spinelli? Felicia says, he went to pick Georgie up at a friend’s house. Anna is avoiding her question. Anna says, yes, she knows, when the doorbell rings. James opens the door and Cody is there. He says, merry Christmas, everyone.

Ava says, Nina can’t set Drew on fire with her mind, and Nina says she can dream. Willow says she wants to propose a toast. To Nina, for hosting this beautiful Christmas Eve. They all clink glasses, and Willow says she’s so grateful to have Nina by her side, even after all the times she pushed Nina away. I can’t thank you enough for your support, mom. Nina hugs Willow and looks at Drew. He bursts into flames.

Stella says, it does her heart good to have them together. She misses TJ, but she knows the hospital needs him. They’ve faced dark times, hardship, and loss, and they came through it all. They’re blessed. Curtis says he’d like to give the blessing.  He’s beyond honored to be Aurora’s CEO, but his dad is on tour with Wynton Marsalis, no doubt giving him all he can handle. His beautiful daughter is thriving at PCU and making him and her mother proud. The whole family is so very proud of her. And to his precious wife, who is masterfully running GH and looking beautiful while doing it. And Aunt Stella, the glue that keeps it all together. They are extremely blessed. Stella says, we are. Let us give thanks. They join hands.

Josslyn and Kristina come back with stickers all over them, and Josslyn says, they all know how much Donna likes stickers. Carly comes in and says she’s sorry she’s late. She brought an extra guest for dinner. Jack says, Mr. Corinthos. Jack Brennan. Good. We finally meet. He holds his hand out, but Sonny just looks at him.

No preview, but full credits with a jazzy version of Oh, Christmas Tree playing.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Tracy walks into the nook and sees Ned on his guitar. She says she knew it was too good to be true. Eddie Maine has clearly not left the building.

Brook is about to knock on Maxie’s office door, when she hears Maxie talking to Felicia on the phone. Maxie says, her mom and dad have already helped her so much. She can’t allow them to jeopardize their financial future to get her out of this mess.

There’s a knock at Nina’s office door, and she says, come in. Willow walks in and asks if it’s a bad time, but Nina says, never. She’s so happy to see Willow. Willow asks if she’s sure, because lately, it feels like she’s been pulling away.

Obrecht meets Scotty at Kelly’s, and he asks her to have a seat, but she says she’s not sitting. She’s not staying. State his business. He says, coffee. He thought they agreed if they ran into each other in public, they’d be civil. She says, they did, but this is not a chance encounter where they can nod their heads regretfully to each other in passing and continue on. He says, you call that civil? and she sits down. She says, he asked her here to what end? and he says he thinks their relationship ended too soon.

At the counter, Hume asks Brennan why he keeps coming back to Kelly’s, and Brennan says he likes the ambience. Hume says, he knows this place is owned by Corinthos’s ex-wife. What if someone recognizes them?

Sam meets Kristina at Kelly’s, and Kristina gives a crazy coffee order. Sam says, it sounds like someone needs a pick-me-up. Did she have a late night? Kristina says, no. Just indulging while she can. Sam asks what that’s supposed to mean.

Dante hangs around the lockers until he’s sure no one is around. He takes out the key.

As Brook listens, Maxie says she loves that her parents want to bail her out, but if they could just make the money back, they’d have it… Okay. Let her look at the numbers. Maybe they can come up with a compromise, like a partial loan or something, but she has to go… She loves Felicia too. Bye. Brook knocks at the door, and Maxie says, it’s open. Brook comes in, and Maxie says, this is a surprise. Brook asks if she’s in the middle of something, and Maxie says, always, but it’s good to see her. Brook asks if everything is okay, and Maxie says, fine, great actually. Deception is back and better than ever. Brook asks if she’s sure, and Maxie says, yeah. Why does she ask? Brook says, because she was just eavesdropping on her.

Ned continues to play, and Tracy says, the Bridge and Tunnel twins swore up and down he was in his right mind. She doesn’t know why she let them get her hopes up. Clearly those perpetual teenyboppers prefer having Eddie Maine around. He asks if she really thinks so, and she says she knows so. The Pink Ladies from Bensonhurst are probably tearing each other’s hair out, battling over who gets to wear his leather jacket. He says, are you quite finished, mother? and she says, it’s ridiculous to… Did he just call her mother? He says he’s sure that’s not the only thing he’s called her, and she says, Ned? He says, it’s me.

Nina says she hasn’t been distancing herself from Willow. Absolutely not. It’s just with the magazine and the MetroCourt and the holidays, she’s been jammed. Willow asks if she means that, and Nina says, of course (🍷) she does. Willow says, because if this relationship is going to work, they have to be honest with each other, and Nina says, absolutely. Willow wonders if she said or did something to upset Nina, but Nina says, it’s just she’s been swamped on all fronts. She knows people were concerned when she offered to sell her half of the MetroCourt back to Carly. They thought she was doing it to score points with her and Willow, but honestly, it’s really that having two full-time jobs has taken its toll. Willow says, of course (🍷). She gets it. Nina says she’s glad Willow is here because she wanted her input. She has some ideas, but wanted Willow’s opinion. What does Willow think she should get Wiley and Amelia for Christmas?

Obrecht says, the bond she and Scotty shared was broken, and he’s the one who broke it when he chose to help Elizabeth, even though Elizabeth’s lies contributed to her Britta’s death. He says, she was his client. Confidentiality. Obrecht, as a doctor, knows it would have been unethical for him to tell her. She says, legally and medically, they’re both such paragons of ethics. She’s truly sorry, but their problems are unsurmountable. He says, they also had a lot of fun even though they have these problems. The way he sees it, they march to a different drumbeat. That’s why he thinks they are a good match. She says, that’s why they were a good match, but now… He doesn’t want her back. He just wants someone to avoid being alone. She thinks people understand that. She’s been in relationships where she felt more alone than when she was encumbered. (Truth!) That’s how she knows it’s best not to settle. He says, settle. She hasn’t even been around. She’s been galivanting all over the country to all these medical conventions and everything else. Tell him. Is she not just a little bit lonely?

Sam tells Kristina that she heard about the miscarriage. Molly is devastated. Kristina says, it’s awful. She ran into Molly in Rice Park. She was bawling her eyes out, so Kristina took Molly back to her apartment. They talked about things, and they decided she’s going to be Molly’s surrogate.

Brennan tells Hume that the only one who would recognize him is Anna Devane, and it’s been over thirty years. He doubts she’d recognize him. Hume says, spies have very long memories; it’s part of the job. Brennan is living proof.

Dante opens the locker and takes out a box wrapped in brown paper. Another man comes in, and Dante puts his hand on his gun, but the man takes out his phone and keeps walking. Dante closes and locks the locker, and leaves with the package.

Nina says, wheels. Got it. How about Amelia? Willow says she understands Amelia is too young to understand what she’s playing with, but if Nina decides to get her a doll, she prefers it to be a doll with a career. (Do baby dolls have careers now?) Nina says, all right, so like a doctor, a lawyer doll? and Willow says, or even an editor/hotelier like her grandmother. Nina says, or a nurse like her mom, and Willow says, all good ideas. Nina says she just has to tell Willow… She thanks Willow for coming here. She really appreciates it. Willow says, right back at her, and Nina says, Willow will let her know if she overdoes it, right? Willow says, total honesty means total honesty. Since they’re discussing Christmas, Michael tells her that they’re going to be spending Christmas Eve with her and Sonny. Nina says, yeah. Is that okay? Willow says, it’s great. She was thinking the kids could open up their presents from her and Sonny while they’re there. That way, Nina can see their reaction.

Tracy says she missed Ned so much, and he says he faked that amnesia for months just to hear her say that. She asks if he wants another head injury, and he says, not that he doesn’t deserve one. He’s sorry for how he behaved toward her when he thought he was Eddie. She says, no apology necessary, and he says, really? She says, actually, it’s Eddie Maine who owes her an apology, but his non-existence in and of itself is a gift. She’s so grateful to have her son standing in front of her is enough. He says, she knows he loves her, right? and she says, of course (🍷). What’s not to love? He laughs, and she says she loves him too. She punches his arm, and he says, what? She says, he’s wasted so much time, and he says, saying they love each other? She says, he let her go on and on about him being Eddie Maine still, and he says, have you ever tried to stop you? She says she wants him to put this guitar in the attic. He needs to focus and stop Michael from taking ELQ. He says he thought she wanted nothing to do with ELQ, and she says she doesn’t, but that doesn’t mean she wants to see Alan’s surprise offspring and his grandson run away with it. Ned needs to get his head in the game.

Kristina tells Sam that she doesn’t have to say anything. She knows how Sam feels about it. Sam’s already told her that she doesn’t think it would be wise for her to be Molly and TJ’s surrogate. Sam tells her that she never said that. What she meant to say was, being pregnant and giving birth are bigger than Kristina could ever imagine. They have to be experienced to be understood. She just wanted Kristina to think about it carefully before she made a commitment. Kristina says, Sam was right, 100%. She wasn’t ready. And now she is, and so is Molly.

Brennan says he knows Hume has met Corinthos face to face. Is there anyone else in town who could recognize him? Hume says, a few of his guards and business associates. Other than that… Brennan says, maybe it’s time for Hume to head back to DC, and Hume says, whatever the circumstances require. Brennan says, but before he goes, find the report that Forsythe stole from Anna Devane.

Obrecht tells Scotty that she may be alone in her travels, but she’s never lonely. She’s interacting with her peers, talking about her expertise. And she’s learning so much; discoveries and developments in disease, discoveries in technology and treatments. She can’t begin to tell him how exciting it all is. He says, that’s it. He wants her to tell him this stuff. She says, Scotty. Stuff. He says he wants to tell her something, since they may never see each other again, and she says, an ominous prologue. He says he thinks she may be doing all this traveling to hide from her grief, and she says, Auf Wiedersehen. Have a good life. She gets up, and goes outside, but he follows her. He says, hang on a second. Talk to him. he understands the grief she’s going through. More than anybody. He buried three children. Their children were forces of nature, and he thinks if they talk about them, if they share their grief – he takes her hand – that will bring them closer together. She says, that is precisely why they’re not together. He couldn’t be more wrong.

Maxie tells Brook, what can she say? At least Brook is admitting upfront this time that she’s spying. Brook says she wasn’t spying… this time. Maxie’s door was a little bit open and she just happened to hear part of the conversation. Maxie says, fine. She guesses that’s the definition of eavesdropping. Since Brook isn’t here for corporate espionage, what is she here for? Brook says she wanted to share some news, brushing her hair back with her left hand so Maxie can see the ring. Maxie says, oh my God. Brook and Chase? Brook says, they’re engaged, and Maxie squeals, running over to Brook. She says, congratulations, hugging her, and Brook thanks her. Maxie says she has to look, and takes Brook’s hand, checking out the ring. Brook asks if it meets with her approval, and Maxie says, yes, it does. That is a good stone. Her feelings are a little hurt that Chase didn’t consult with her, but whoever he did go to steered him in the right direction. Brook says, he did his research and the was thorough. Chase is so sweet that way. Maxie asks if Brook and Detective Adorable have set a date yet, and Brook says, not yet, but they’re thinking early in the new year. Maxie says she sees, and looks at Brook’s stomach. She says, for real this time? and Brook says she’s not pregnant. Maxie says, why the shotgun? and Brook says, there is no shotgun or weapons of any kind. They just… Violet doesn’t believe in long engagements. Maxie says, all right then. If she needs a wedding planner… Brook says, like she would consider anybody else. And she’s sure Maxie has planned her entire wedding already. Maxie says she has a file… and a vision board. She has color samples, dress choices, dinner and dessert menus, a DJ playlist, venues… Brook says, she hasn’t picked the band yet? and Maxie says, Brook is the one who knows all the musicians. Maxie says she’s missed them, and Brook says, her too, taking Maxie’s hand. Since Maxie is going to make her the happiest woman on her wedding day, maybe there’s something she can do for Maxie in return. Maxie says, such as? and Brook says, spill it. Tell her what’s going on.

Nina says she and Sonny would love to watch Wiley and Amelia open up their gifts, and Willow claps her hands and says, yes. Nina says, as long as Michael’s okay with it, and Willow says, it’s Christmas. She can’t imagine why he wouldn’t be. Ned knocks on the door and says, this is convenient. He can kill two birds with one stone. Willow says, he has something to discuss with both her and Nina? and he says, as a matter of fact, he does. Drew. Willow says, what about Drew? and Ned says he just wanted to make sure they both knew; Drew will be spending Christmas in Australia with a business deal. Willow says she knew that. Nina? Nina says, that’s news to her. She’ll have to make sure Sonny knows that. She thanks Ned for coming by and telling them. That might change Carly’s holiday plans, which might change their plans. Ned says, the domino effect. One decision sets in motion a whole chain of events. Willow says she’s got to run. She’ll talk to Nina if she has any more gift ideas for the kids. Nina says she’ll do the same, and Willow leaves. Ned closes the door and says he can’t tell Nina how tempted he was to let Willow know he wasn’t the one who turned Drew and Carly in to the SEC. It was her. She says, so why didn’t he?

Maxie tells Brook, when Tracy’s lawsuit stalled Deceptor sales, the stocks plummeted, and she stopped drawing salary. Brook says, no, and Maxie says, she went from paying off her credit cards monthly to only making the minimum payments, but she still had bills, so she was still charging. She basically blew through her savings and dug herself into a major hole. Brook says, but Deception is recovering, right? And Maxie’s salary is going to kick in soon. Maxie says, if only, and Brook asks what she’s going to do. Maxie says, her mom and Mac want to liquidate part of their financial portfolio to help her out of this debt, but she doesn’t feel right about doing that. They’ve worked their entire lives to earn that money so their portfolio can grow. Brook says, okay, so how about if she loans Maxie the money? and Maxie says she appreciates the thought, but she can’t accept that. Brook says, why not? She’s a trust fund baby. She has tons of funds in an account that she didn’t earn. She would be putting it into good use. Maxie thanks her for the offer, but her parents are going to help her, and Brook asks if Maxie would even be in this position if it weren’t for Tracy’s lawsuit, or her spying. Maxie says, no, she wouldn’t, and Brook says, so let her fix this. She owes it to Maxie. Maxie says, this is not Brook’s problem to solve. It’s hers and she will. Now she really needs to get back to work. Brook says, why? It’s not like she’s getting paid. Maxie says she can’t wait to plan Brook’s wedding, even more than she already has, and they hug.

Scotty says he doesn’t understand why Obrecht won’t let him comfort her, help her here. Forget about a relationship. Why won’t she let him help her? She says she doesn’t want him to. She doesn’t want anyone to. When she lost Nathan, she didn’t think she could go on, but she did. In part, because she still had her Britta. Some people might find comfort that their child died heroically. She envies them. All she feels is grief. She doubts she’ll ever make sense of why she’s still alive and her children are gone. Perhaps it’s so she can redeem herself with her grandson James. He reminds her so much of her son Nathan. She starts to cry, and he says he understands the whole grandkid thing. Elizabeth’s kids aren’t his by blood, but he is their grandfather. He likes it that way. She says, it’s good they can still count the few remaining blessings they have, and he says he thinks they can have more blessings. She says, just when they were doing so well, and laughs. He says he wants love. He thinks she does too.

Kristina tells Sam that she knew how badly Molly wanted to be a mother of course (Auf Wiedersehen), but she never really grasped it until she saw Molly in the park that day. She wants to be Molly’s surrogate. She wants to give Molly and TJ what they want more than anything.

Hume says, they’ve been attempting to reconstruct Forsythe’s movements from the night he retrieved the report until his death. Brennan asks when they’ll have actual results, and Hume says he’s been assured, very soon. Brennan says, none of this would be necessary if someone hadn’t jumped the gun quite literally and got rid of Forsythe prematurely. He was much more valuable alive.

A bank officer brings Dante a safe deposit box, and thanks him for choosing their bank. He leaves, Dante opens the box, and takes the package out of his duffel bag. He puts on gloves, takes out a pocketknife, and slices open the paper.

Kristina tells Sam that she just knows Molly and TJ want this so badly. She wants to be a good sister. She wants to give this to them. Okay, hit her. Thoughts, concerns, questions, objections. God knows Sam’s got them. Sam says she does, and she can see Kristina has thought this through, and it’s coming from a place of love. And she supports Kristina all the way.

Dante takes a box out of the paper and opens it. He takes out some papers and looks at them. It looks like it’s probably the report in question because it talks about an operation and Forsythe’s name is all over. We see Anna’s name, and something about a whole lot of money that was never recovered. At the bottom, it says, WSB. After flipping through it, Dante sets the report aside, and shakes some photos out of a small envelope. He sees a headshot of a guy I assume is Forsythe, one of Anna, and when he looks at the last picture, Dante says, who are you? I’m thinking Brennan, younger and without facial hair.

Scotty says he knows he and Obrecht were crazy about each other a while back. He thinks they can be crazy about each other again. She says, is that so? and he says, yes, it is. He has another point. Time is ticking away and they’re not getting any younger. So he says they strike while the iron’s hot. She says, he believes they should embrace this opportunity because another, better one might not come along, and he says, yeah. If they can take this opportunity, why wait for another opportunity? She says, an admirable attempt. What Maxie would call, a nice save. If one of them is settling, then they both are, and she never settles. She kisses him on the cheek and says she hopes he knows, even though they won’t have their own happy ending, she hopes he finds one himself. She leaves.

On the phone, Maxie says, they can let Haven know they’ll consider booking another segment with Sasha and Cody, but Haven will have to agree, in advance, to limit her own camera time. Lucy comes to the door, but says, sorry. Maxie’s busy. She’ll come back. Maxie signals her not to go, and says, just give Haven the message and let them know what she decides. They’re not in a hurry. She asks Lucy, what’s up? and Lucy says, nothing really. No. Nothing… She thinks she made a mistake.

Brook asks if Tracy’s got a minute, and Tracy says, for her granddaughter, always. She shows Brook her tablet and says, look at these pictures. Isn’t Sasha radiant? Brook says, she always is, and Tracy says she doesn’t really get the point of Cody though. Brook says, everyone has a different demographic, right? and Tracy says she supposes so. Sasha has the department store and boutique crowd, and he maybe increases foot traffic… Can Brook imagine? Lucy Coe wanted to replace her with a random singer? Brook says, that random singer’s name is Blaze, and she happens to be wildly popular and extremely talented. Tracy says, good for her, and Brook says, Blaze is also her client. Tracy says, good for Brook. She’s definitely not the Face of Deception, nor will she ever be. Brook says, which coincidentally, she wanted to talk to Tracy about. Tracy says, the singer? but Brook says, no, Deception.

Ned says he doesn’t know. Why didn’t he expose Nina to Willow and blow up her newfound detente with her? Nina says, there’s one thing everyone seems to be conveniently forgetting. Regardless of who turned in Carly and Drew to the SEC, that doesn’t change the fact that they committed insider trading. He says, so Drew at least got what he deserved, including a beating… She says, Drew didn’t deserve to be attacked, but that had nothing to do with the insider trading, and he says, Drew wouldn’t have been in Pentenville in the first place if Nina hadn’t turned them in. She says, if Carly and Drew hadn’t committed a crime, and he says, if this had been about justice or doing the right thing, she wouldn’t have used Martin as her go-between. So now, she’s scrambling because she wants to keep all of this quiet, because she doesn’t want to lose Sonny or lose any chance of having a relationship with Willow, her sweet, beautiful daughter. So far, it’s worked. So far. She says, if he wanted to blow up her life, he wouldn’t be talking to her right now. He’d be out there talking to Sonny or Michael or Willow or whoever. But here he is talking to her. So tell her, what does he want? he says, what he wants is to make a deal with her.

Tracy says she thought Brook wanted nothing to do with Deception. That she wanted her sole focus to be music, and she couldn’t have Deception as back-up because it would prevent her from going all-in on her dream of being a so-called manager for so-called talent. Brook says, Tracy was listening, and Tracy says she heard every word. Brook says, how else could Tracy use it against her later? and Tracy asks if Brook just dropped by to remind her that she turned her nose up at that generous offer? Brook says, actually, she dropped by to tell Tracy that she reconsidered, and Tracy says, reconsidered what?

Maxie asks, what’s the mistake? and Lucy says she had drinks with Scotty. Maxie says, she’s done that billions of times. Not literally billions, but at least in the thousands. Lucy says she’s not making herself clear, is she? and Maxie says she can’t believe she’s asking this, but can Lucy elaborate? Lucy says, Scotty asked her to join him for drinks, and like Maxie said, a billion times, so she agreed, but it quickly became clear, Scotty’s really lonely. He seemed out of sorts. He had that break-up with Liesl… Maxie says she never thought he was good enough for her, and Lucy says, what? She always thought exactly the opposite. Scotty has faults, she agrees – many, many faults – but deep down underneath, he has a big heart of gold. And therein lies the problem. Maxie says, that she thinks Scotty has a big heart of gold, and Lucy says, yes. She can’t help herself; she sympathizes with him. And sympathy always leads her down this road that she’s traveled many, many, many times. And the last time she traveled that road, she lost her Doc for good, and she doesn’t want the same thing to happen with Marty. Maxie says, of course (🍷) not, and Lucy says, she and Maxie were thinking the same thing; she and Scotty are just friends, right? They’re best friends. They’re just friendly friend, friend friends, and could never be anything else but just friends. Because if they cross that line of romance, it leads ultimately to total disaster. She ends up heartsore, humiliated, and broke; sometimes all three happen at the same time. But at the same time, it’s not Scotty’s fault. He’s a unique, funny, wonderful man. He’s also absolutely the catalyst to some of the worst decisions she’s ever made in her entire life. There’s a knock on the door, and Scotty asks if he’s interrupting.

Nina says, in return for Ned keeping quiet about her turning Carly and Drew in to the SEC, he wants what? He says he’s willing to continue taking the blame for Drew going to prison, if she gets him some insider information. She says, he doesn’t lack for audacity, does he? and he says he sees the irony hasn’t escaped her. (Me neither.) She says, okay, so this isn’t a joke. He wants her to get him insider information on what? Crimson or the MetroCourt? He says, Drew and Michael have been double-teaming him again with ELQ and Aurora. What he wants – what he needs – is an advantage, specifically inside information on Crimson’s parent company Aurora.

Kristina says she’s got to run and asks Sam if everything is okay. Sam says, yeah. She was just hoping to hear from Dante. He’s working on a case and she wants to make sure everything is okay. Kristina says, Dante is a badass. She’s sure he’s fine. Sam says, when Kristina is right, she’s right, and Kristina asks her to say it again. She wants to make that her ringtone. Sam says, when she’s right, she’s right, and Kirstina says she loves Sam. She kisses Sam on the cheek, and leaves.

Hume says, continuing to search for the report could leave them exposed, but Brennan says, that is the risk. Hume asks if it’s worth taking, and Brennan says, if that report were to fall into the wrong hands, it would not only compromise the WSB, it would compromise Pikeman. Does Hume think it’s worth it?

Sam is about to send a text to Dante: Everything okay? but she puts her phone down. Willow runs over to her table, and Sam jumps. Willow says she’s sorry. She didn’t mean to startle Sam.

Dante looks through a wallet, but it’s empty. He puts everything back in the box, closes it, folds the wrapping paper, and puts it on top of the box. He puts everything in the safe deposit box, but as he’s about to close it, he takes the wallet back out. He puts the wallet in his pocket, closes the box, and locks it. He picks up his duffel bag and leaves.

Brook says, since she got engaged, she’s realized Tracy is right, but Tracy says, she’ll have to narrow that down. Brook says, until she gets more clients and gets them more gigs and more contracts… Tracy says, and until she starts making money… Brook says, it’s going to be hard to live on Chase’s salary. So it seems like a good idea to find something more stable to supplement her income. So if Tracy’s offer is still on the table… Tracy says her offer is still on the table. She’d be delighted to have Brook join her at Deception. Brook thanks her, and Tracy says, and some day in the future, the company will be Brook’s. But until then, she has a lot to learn, and Tracy can’t wait to start teaching her.

Lucy says, she and Maxie were in the middle of a very important conference, and Maxie says, Scotty’s not here on Deception business, is he? He says, no, it’s personal, and Maxie says, she and Lucy were in the middle of something. Lucy says, they were, but tells Maxie, they’re fine. Maxie thanks her for the escape, and leaves. Lucy asks what exactly Scotty wants, and he says he’s flying down to Florida to see Serina for Christmas and say hello to the manatees. She says, that’s really nice, and asks him to give Serina her love, but he says, why doesn’t she tell Serina herself. Does she want to tag along?

Nina says, Ned thinks she can get insider information on Auroa, and he says, Crimson is one of Aurora’s biggest assets. That gives her access. She says, it doesn’t. Aurora is all Michael and Drew. Michael hates her guts, and she and Drew aren’t exactly best friends. Ned says, if she thinks he hates her now, just wait until he finds out she’s the reason he almost died in prison. She says, even if she sets up a meeting with Drew to talk about Crimson and Aurora, he’s not going to talk to her about anything except Crimson. He’s not going to give her any relevant details about Aurora or ELQ. Ned tells her to think back to those bygone days in Nixon Falls, when she kept Sonny’s identity hidden from him; when she kept Sonny’s very existence hidden from everyone here. She says, he’s bringing this up why? and he says, to remind her just how resourceful she can be, especially when her back is up against the wall, which it most certainly is right now. She says, Nixon Falls is a very small town. All she had to do was not say anything, and people still found out. He says, get him that intel. Otherwise, he’ll just make that short, three-minute walk from the mansion to the gatehouse and share some insider information of his own with Willow about just how low Nina can stoop.

Willow says, Christmas Eve, she and Michael are taking the kids to Sonny and Nina’s, and Sam says, she and Dante are taking the kids to the Quartermaines on Christmas… She suddenly gets up and runs to the door where Dante has just come in. She throws her arms around him, and Willow says, perfect.

Brennan tells Hume, worst case scenario, Forsythe passed the report on to someone else. Hume says, and if that is the case… Brennan says, whoever has it now will have to be dealt with.

Tomorrow, Nina asks what’s got Ava so terrified; Sam asks if Dante trusts Anna; Kristina says she knows what she’s in for, but Alexis says, no, she doesn’t; and Brennan says, perhaps Carly can accompany him.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Today’s GH was a continuation of the 2014 Nurse’s Ball (specifically, May 9, 2014). Spencer was still practically an infant, Starr was still Kiki, Eddie Maine sang Meatloaf’s You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth, and fake Luke sang I Am What I Am from La Cage aux Folles (one of my favorite songs ever). Fake Luke also asked Tracy to marry him right then and there, and Lucy was happy to officiate. Elizabeth caught the bouquet. They wrapped it up with Magic Milo and his Magic Wands dancing to AC/DC’s You Shook Me All Night Long, ending the song with Nurse’s Ball spelled out on their backsides.

🍸 Tonight’s Vanderpump Rules was a Secrets Revealed special. Hint: there were no secrets. It was basically extended scenes from this season’s episodes, given a boost with interjected videos of the cast in quarantine. Poor Lisa. She’s thinking of bringing the ponies inside. Next week: the Reunion, Part One.

If Loving You Is Wrong

Natalie listens at Kelly’s bedroom door, and hears muffled noises. She bursts in, saying, you MF’ers! and is surprised to see Tyrell and Pat in the bed. Natalie scrambles back out, as Lushion and Kelly are coming in the back door. Lushion asks, what’s wrong? Why is she stuttering? She says she’s been calling him, and he says they’ll talk. He wonders what the noise is, but goes to the living room with Natalie. Kelly investigates, and asks, what the hell is going on? Tyrell, who’s putting on his clothes at this point, says he was… and Kelly says, just leaving. It’s too much. He asks if she’s putting him out, and she says, hell yeah. She asks who Pat is, and Tyrell says, a friend; sorry. She tells them to get their asses out.

Kelly goes into the living room, and says, damn. Lushion asks, what’s going on? and Kelly asks where Natalie is. He says, she’s at the house, and Kelly asks if they can keep Justice a while longer so she can handle this. He says, handle what? and she says, this. Tyrell and Pat come out, and Lushion says, ohh. Pat leaves, and Lushion isn’t far behind. Tyrell says, hey, and Kelly asks why Pat was in the house. He says he and Kelly aren’t together; what’s her problem? She says, seriously? No part of his brain gets it? He just got out of jail, came to her house, and brings a trick to her bed. She asks who it was, and he says, a friend from back in the day. She asks, how far back? Is it Leslie? This totally confuses me, since I swear it was Nurse Pat. Tyrell says, it was nine years ago, and Kelly says, she’s clearly let herself go. He says he’s glad Kelly is out, and Kelly says she is too. He asks how it worked out, and she tells him, the DA dropped the charges. He says he doesn’t have anywhere to go, and can he please stay there. She says, it’s a lot, but let her talk to Justice first. He wants to see Justice, and she tells him, go for a walk. Give her a couple of hours, and let her talk to him. And wash her damn sheets. She wants no trace of that bitch in her house; not a thread of her damn weave. She’s going to take a shower, and he needs to do the same. He asks if she’s saying she wants to… and she says, please. He says he was just asking. It’s good to see her. She says she’ll figure out how good it is to see him when she calms down. He tells her that Natalie attacked them when she came in, and Kelly says, that’s not good. He asks, why not?

Alone in the bathroom, Kelly gets out her phone.

Natalie tells Lushion, he got a text, and hands him his phone. He asks how Natalie is, and she says, good. He tells her something smells good, and she says, it’s the pork chops. He asks if she wants to tell him why she was calling, and she says, Eddie. He was in the house. He just walked in. Lushion says, bastard, and she says, is he? He says Eddie showed her the video, and she says he did. Lushion says Kelly kissed him. She said she was just excited, and he made it clear there was nothing on his end. Natalie asks if there was something on Kelly’s end, but he says she was just happy. Natalie says, and she just happened to kiss him? Why did she text? Lushion says Kelly thought Natalie believed Tyrell and the girl were them. Natalie asks to see it, and Lushion says, no; he’s not going to do that. They’ve been through this about her questioning his love and commitment. Eddie happened to be there, trying to make something of it. She asks if she’s not allowed to have questions, and he says, not when comes to trusting him. She asks if he thinks that’s fair, and he says, yes. Because he knows what kind of man he is, and so does she. She wonders if she can ask one question, but he says, not when it comes to that. She says she’ll just ask Kelly, and he says, go ahead. Lushion types, and she asks if he’s texting Kelly. He says, maybe; maybe not. Let him know when dinner ready. He starts out the door, and she mumbles, a-hole. He says he heard that.

On the porch, Lushion calls Eddie. He asks if Eddie thinks he did something to bring Lushion’s ass down, and Eddie asks how Natalie is. Lushion says, fine. Keep pushing. Bennett drives up, and asks how Lushion is. Lushion says he’s good, and asks how Tanya is. Bennett says, as well as can be expected, and Lushion says he’s sorry. Randal keeps pestering everyone in the neighborhood, so just be aware. He asks why Lushion keeps dropping by Randal’s house, and Lushion says, it’s in his nature; it’s his job. if Bennett sees anything, let him know. Bennett says he has to be careful, or Tanya will think he’s checking on her. Lushion gets it, but he’ll let Randal know that Bennett might do a random stop-by. Bennett says he tried to file a police report on Randal, but he ran into Eddie. Lushion says Eddie is a bit crazy, and asks how it went. Bennett says he didn’t end up doing it, and Lushion says he can help. He tells Bennett to come by tomorrow, and thanks him for being one of the good guys. Bennett says Lushion is too, and drives off.

Ian approaches Lushion, and Lushion says Ian did a great job for Kelly. He wasn’t sure he could trust him. Ian says he told Lushion he could. He tells Lushion that Larry called Carl into his office and offered him a job. Lushion asks what Carl did, and Ian says, the kid held his own. He told Larry, no. Then Larry tricked Ian, and got his phone at the same time Carl was calling, and Ian got fired. Lushion says he’s sorry, but Ian says, it was worth it. He needs to start his own practice anyway… right after he sues Larry. Larry will settle because Ian knows where the bodies are buried. He asks if Lushion has seen Alex, and Lushion says, no; why? Ian says he needs to talk to her. It might be a long shot, but he slept with her around the same time she got pregnant. Lushion says, and he wants to know if the baby is his. Ian says, they met on a dating app, but she slept with a lot of guys. Who knows? Lushion says, just when you think you know someone. It’s crazy as hell. Ian says he’ll talk to Alex later, and Lushion says, sorry about his job. Ian says, it’s all good, and walks back home.

Randal looks on his laptop at a video of Bennett trashing Randal’s house. He says Bennett thinks he’s playing, but he’s got him. He takes the laptop, and heads over to Bennett’s house, where Tanya is painting. He comes up to the window next to her, and she asks what the hell he’s doing. He says he wants to show her something, and she tells him, get away. He shows her the video, and says, that’s her husband. In his house. Tearing it apart. She says she doesn’t know what he’s talking about, and closes the window. Randal yells, open the door, but she won’t, so Randal just walks in. Since no one ever locks their doors in Maxine. He says he’s calling the cops, and she says, please don’t. She needs Bennett. Randal asks, why? and she says Bennett is sorry; he’s just trying to protect her. She told him Randal was looking at her. She says, it’s too stressful, and he says, what’s stressful? He keeps asking, and she says Randal can’t send Bennett to jail. He asks if Bennett is a good guy, and she nods. He says he is going to send Bennett to jail, and she says she can’t breathe. She starts to scream, and Randal smiles. He says, there’s my girl, and she says it’s all her fault. He takes her medication off the coffee table, and switches it with something he brought with him. He tells her, relax; this will make her feel better. He promises it will help. She takes one, and he says he won’t send Bennett to jail. He wants her to rest. She grabs him, and he says, let him go. She keeps asking him to promise, and he gives her another pill, saying, trust him. Randal tells her that if she tells Bennett about this, he will send Bennett to jail. The pills should be kicking in any moment. He tells Tanya, she should probably have one more, and if she’s more anxious, take another one. He leaves, saying, sleep well.

Marcie watches from Brad’s house, and says, what the hell are you up to?

Steven rigs up the bathroom door, and puts a caution wet floor sign outside. He wraps his hand using toilet paper (now more precious than gold), and Eddie comes out of stall. Eddie chatters on about nothing, and Steven stays silent. Eddie tries to open the bathroom door, and gets shocked. He asks what Steven did to the door; it turns him on. Steven suggests Eddie grab it again, and he does. Although it’s obviously painful, Eddie says it just gets him going. Does Steven want to play this game?  Steven says Eddie told his daughter lies about him and Esperanza. Eddie asks what the hell Steven wants to do about it, and Steven says, beat his ass. Eddie asks if Steven thinks so, and Steven says he knows so. Eddie takes out his gun, and asks if Steven’s got one, but Steven says he doesn’t need one. Eddie asks if Steven knows who the hell he’s talking to, and Steven asks how Eddie is going to explain this one. Eddie says he doesn’t need an explanation to put a bullet in Steven’s punk ass. Steven tells Eddie to get on the phone, call his daughter, and tell her that everything he’s said about her mother is a lie. Tell her that her mother is a wonderful person. Eddie says, that’s not going to happen, and Steven says he hoping Eddie would say that. An officer walks in, and asks, what’s going on? Steven says, nothing, and Eddie confirms, yeah, nothing. Steven says Eddie was just leaving, and Eddie says, yes, he was.

Larry is waiting for Eddie out in the hallway. Eddie asks what the hell Larry wants, and Larry says he wants the money Eddie owes him. Eddie says he blew it on cocaine. Larry says he’s beginning to get the impression Eddie doesn’t want to give it back. Eddie says he doesn’t, and Larry says, okay. He makes a call, and says, do it now. Eddie asks if that’s supposed to scare him, and Larry says, maybe a little. Eddie says, it doesn’t, and Larry asks if there’s anything Eddie cares about; anything he loves. Eddie says he loves him some Eddie. He’s beautiful. Larry says, yes, he is, and Eddie says Larry saw him naked; he’s a beast. Larry says, he is too. The type of beast who eats their own young. Eddie says Larry is a big pussy cat, and Larry asks if Eddie is sure there’s nothing he cares about. Eddie asks how many times Larry is going to ask. Larry walks away, and Eddie says, that guy is an a-hole.

Johnny rouses Alex, who asks if it’s closing time. He says they reopen at 9, and asks if she’s ready to go home. She stretches, and says, let’s go, but he says he means her home. She says she’s not going back there; she’s staying with him. He says, no. People come there, trying to run away from their lives. She tells him, don’t try to save her soul, but he says he’s trying to tell her the truth. He’s seen it all. You can try to drink your life away, and run away from it all, but when you wake up, the problems will still be there. Go home. She says her home is with him. He kisses her hand, and says she’s sweet, but he’s only known her for a couple of hours. She asks if he doesn’t think she’s sexy; she’s had three kids. He says she’s incredible, and Alex says, so don’t throw her away. Johnny says she just met him. Give herself a chance to sober up, and then come back. She says she’s perfectly sober. She touches her nose, and says, come on, but he shakes his head, and says, go home. She says, please. She needs something. Give her a little something. She just wants a little escape. She can’t go back to that life. He asks if she really wants to escape, and takes a packet of white powder out of his pocket. He says, something to help her escape. She says she doesn’t know if she can do that. Does he do it? He says, from time to time; it’s no big deal. She says, okay, and rolls up her sleeve. She says, if she does it, can she stay with him? He says, forever, and she says she wants it. He says, she’s about to get it.

Marcie cleans up after dinner. Brad says, it was good, and she says he sounds surprised. He says, know what else? It was good how good the kids were. She says, they didn’t seem bothered, and he says he still has to watch them closely. She says he did a good job raising them, but he says, Alex did most of the work. She asks if he’s okay, and he says he’s fine. He has to be. She says, he has her; he doesn’t have to do this alone. He says she hasn’t accepted his proposal, and she says, with all he’s going through, does he really want to talk about that? He says she means that much to him, but she thinks they should take it slow. She kisses him, and says she’s checking on the baby. She goes upstairs, and there’s a knock at the door. It’s Ian.

Brad asks what he can do for Ian, and Ian asks if Alex is there. He’d like to talk to her. Brad asks, what about? and Ian says, the divorce. Brad says, it’s done, but Ian says she still has papers to sign. Marcie comes back, and Brad says Ian is there to see Alex. Marcie says Alex isn’t there; she left Brad with the kids. Ian asks if they know where she went, and Brad says, probably with one of the many guys she’s been dating. Ian asks if she took the baby, and Marcie says she left all the kids with Brad. Brad asks, why? and Ian says he’s just asking. Marcie asks, what’s going on? and Ian says, nothing; he’ll come back. Brad says he thought Ian looked familiar. He shows him the laptop, with a page from Alex’s dating site on the screem. Brad reads, meet me at the Maxine hotel for lunch. How big is he? Marcie is like, Brad… and Ian says, just tell her that he wants to talk to her. Brad says the date is around the same time Alex got pregnant, and he’s pretty good at math. Is that why Ian is there? Does he think the baby is his? If he does, Brad wants a DNA result. Ian says, just tell her that he wants to talk to her, and Brad suggests he call her. Ian says, he’ll do that, and leaves. Brad says, do you believe that? and Marcie says she’s starting to believe anything about Alex. Ian does kind of look like the baby. Brad says, unbelievable. He’s going to help the kids finish their homework. He wants her to sleep upstairs, but Marcie says she’s not going into her room. She asks if Brad remembers the window that looks out to the other house, and Brad asks if she wants to have sex like wild animals. Does she think he’ll see? She says, he will.

Tyrell tells Kelly that she looks beautiful. She says she just got out of jail, and he says, so did he. She says she just wanted to clean up for Justice. She suggests Tyrell go on that walk, and he tells her again that she’s beautiful. She asks if he thought they were going to pick up where they left off. He says that’s not what he was thinking. He needs to get on his feet, and get out of there. She says, good plan; let’s work on that. In the meantime, go for a walk. Tanya walks into the house, and sits in between Kelly and Tyrell on the couch. Kelly says, what the hell? Who is she? Tyrell says he doesn’t know, and Kelly asks if it’s another ho. He says he doesn’t know her, and Tanya says, don’t talk to her or touch her. Kelly asks who she is, and Tanya asks who Kelly is. Kelly says Tanya is in her house. Tanya says she doesn’t like her colors; her colors are angry. Kelly says she needs to leave, and Tanya says it’s pretty there. Tyrell says, she’s off, and Kelly asks her name. She says, Tanya, and Kelly asks if she lives around there. Tanya says, across the valley in the blue canyon. Tyrell says, there’s a blue house across the street, and Kelly tells Tanya that she can’t stay there. Walk back home. Tanya says, Kelly is so rude, and gets up and leaves. Kelly and Tyrell follow her outside, and see her meandering down the street, and swinging around a mailbox. Bennett runs up, and says he was looking for her. She says she doesn’t want to go inside, and he suggests they sit there. She plops herself of the curb, and he sits next to her. She tells him, shut up, but he says he’s not talking. He asks her to come in the house, and she asks what planet he’s from. Randal wanders over. Ugh.

Steven calls Esperanza, and asks if Mica is doing better. Esperanza says, no; she’s been locked in her room all day. He says he’s sorry, and asks if she’s talked to Eddie, but she says, not since she said what she had to say. He’s been quiet, which is really strange, but they don’t need him making things worse. She asks if Steven is okay, and he says he’s fine; why? She says the way Mica spoke to him… and he says she should hear what the kids say on the street. It’s nothing. She says he’s not dating their moms, and he says he’s fine. Go take care of her daughter. They’ll talk later. She notices a pause, and says he was going to say I love you. He tells her, get off his phone. She says she thinks he was, and he says, bye.

Esperanza goes to Mica’s room, and tells her, come on. She opens the door, but Mica isn’t in her room. Esperanza looks through the house, but still no Mica. She hears a scream, and runs outside, as a van carrying her daughter speeds past. She looks frantic.

Next time – three episodes left – Natalie tells Kelly that she doesn’t want to deal with this sh*t, Brad confronts Ian about Alex, Tyrell wants things to be the way they used to be with Kelly, Bennett punches Randal, and Eddie goes crazy.
