What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Mike tells Sonny, it’s time to get this show on the road, and Sonny says, ready. Carly plays Here Comes the Bride on her tablet. Yvonne walks in to the music, and kisses Mike. Everyone smiles.

In quarantine, Sasha tells Michael that he doesn’t have to stay, but he says he has the time. She tells him that he said that a half hour ago. It’s an important day for his grandpa. He says, she’s important too. She says, Mike is getting married. She’s just lying there like a zombie. So much for keeping it casual. Michael guesses it’s too early for her to move in, and she says they should probably table that. He tells her, but he has a U-Haul outside. She laughs, then coughs. She says, tell Mike congratulations. Michael leaves, and sees Finn in the hallway. Michael asks if he’s found the virus, but Finn says, not yet. He asks if Michael has heard from his contacts on his father’s island. If there are other cases, he can better understand how Sasha got infected.

Nina tells Jax that she’ll be working remotely for a while. He asks if everything is okay, and she says her daughter is in the hospital. She came back from Puerto Rico with a virus, but they don’t know what kind. She could be in GH for a couple of days or… She says she doesn’t know what’s going on with her daughter. She starts crying, and says, sorry. She’s not being professional. Jax says she has a right to be upset.

At the MetroCourt, Laura thanks Chelsea for agreeing to meet her. Chelsea says Laura is hoping to contact her late brother; correct? Laura asks if Chelsea can help her with that.

Ava walks into Charlie’s, and asks why there’s a for sale sign. Julian says, sorry. He didn’t want her to find out this way. She asks if he’s selling the place, and he says, that, and he and Kim are leaving town.

Also at the MetroCourt, Curtis is staring into space, and Jordan says, hey. He tells her, sorry. He was trying to keep his mind off what happened last night. He just can’t help thinking, if he and Drew would have gotten there earlier… She says they still did good. Shiloh is in jail, and there’s no way hell a judge will release him. It’s a win. He says, not for Elizabeth.

Elizabeth tells Franco that she knew he’d come back. He had to. Nothing or no one can keep them apart. She asks if she can get him anything, and he says he needs to speak to his superior officer immediately. She doesn’t think he understands, and he says, tell him Chief Andrew Cain needs him right now. Hmm… I think she’s the one not understanding

Michael tells Finn, no one has reported an outbreak. None of the staff or guests have any symptoms. The guests are all accounted for, except for one whose information is incorrect; Sandy Lance. They had breakfast together. Finn says they need to track her down. Michael says that doesn’t explain why Sasha would have been infected, and he wasn’t.

Hayden hopes she’s not interrupting, and Nina says, not at all. She was just telling Jax that he daughter is in the hospital. She’ll be fine. It’s just a little virus, and they’re trying to nail down a diagnosis. Nina is on her way to see Valentin at GH. They’re going to stay there until they know more. She can be contacted on her cell. Jax says work is the last thing that should be on her mind. She needs to be with her daughter, and make sure she gets better. She thanks him, and leaves. Hayden says, well done. That was quite a performance.

Stella sees Jordan and Curtis, and asks how come they’re not answering their phones. Jordan says she was supposed to disconnect and unplug. Stella says, that’s nice, except for those trying to reach them. Curtis asks if something happened, and Stella says they’ve got themselves a third cousin once removed in London. Isn’t it wild? They had an incredible conversation. She married a member of the family in the armed forces, and bounced all over, but is currently in the UK. She doesn’t have much extended family, and can’t wait to meet Stella. Curtis asks when she’s coming to Port Charles, and Stella says, she’s not. She offered to fly Stella out to London.

Laura asks if Chelsea is sure she wants to do this at the MetroCourt. Chelsea says she loves it there; it has wonderful ambiance. Laura thought she needed something like tarot cards, and Chelsea says she doesn’t believe, does she? Laura admits she has doubts, but Chelsea says, that’s okay. A lot of her clients do – at first. Laura asks if her skepticism won’t interfere with Chelsea’s work. Chelsea says the spirits are usually willing to talk to her. Whether Laura believes is up to her. They join hands, and Chelsea asks who Laura is trying to reach. Laura says her brother, Jonathan.

Doc tells Drew that Cabot’s experiment appears to be successful. Drew asks if Franco thinks he’s him, and Doc says, he identified himself as Chief Petty Officer Andrew Cain, and thinks he’s deployed in Afghanistan.

Elizabeth backs up, and Franco says, pardon me, ma’am, and asks her to let him leave. She says he needs to listen, but he says she can’t keep him against his will. He says she keeps calling him Franco, and she says, that’s who he is. He says he’s Chief Petty Officer Andrew Cain, but she says he’s Franco Baldwin, and she’s his wife. Look at his hand; it’s his wedding band. On Valentine’s Day, at the PCPD, she vowed to love him forever, and said he’d freed her soul. He doesn’t remember any of that? He says, no ma’am. He’s sorry. He’s never seen her before in his life.

Sonny says they’re here today to join Mike and Yvonne in holy matrimony. It’s an important union. More important than the law permits, or the paper that holds it together. It’s more than that. The most important thing is family, whether it’s one or two, or whatever you choose it to be. It’s unconditional love, and unconditional support and forgiveness. It’s never too late for family, and guess what? They’re going to start a family. They all laugh, and Sonny says, there will be bad days, but if they reach out and care for each other, the good days will outweigh the bad. That’s love. That’s family. Family always watches out for each other, and always has each other’s backs – always.

Stella tells Curtis and Jordan that she’s going to London. She has vacation time saved up, and might as well use it. Since she’s making the trip, she wants to travel to Europe too. Who knows when she’ll get the chance again. She says they don’t seem enthused, and Curtis says the cousin wants to fly her out on her dime? It’s a mighty generous move by a stranger. Stella says, third cousin once removed. He says sorry he’s skeptical, and Jordan says, it does seem forward. Stella thought they’d be happy. They’ve been pestering her for months to seek her relative out, and she finally has. Curtis says they’re happy for her, but he doesn’t like the idea of her meeting them in London. Stella doesn’t know her; she could be crazy. Stella says she’s not staying there. She’s cashing in on her hotel points. If they’re crazy, she’ll retire in peace at her hotel. Jordan says she’d be disappointed, and Stella says, in London. She also said her daughter-in-law is the police commissioner. They’re being paranoid. Curtis says, they’re being cautious. Let him do a background check before she leaves. Stella says, okay, but hurry. She’s flying out tonight.

Elizabeth says Franco is confused right now. He’s Franco Baldwin, her husband. He says he doesn’t know what kind of operation she’s running here, but she needs to step aside. There’s somewhere he needs to be. She says, Franco, please, and he ask why she keeps calling him Franco. Outside, Drew and Doc hear them, and come into the room. Doc asks for some phenobarbital. He tells Franco that he’s been through a traumatic event. Franco tries to leave, but Drew stops him. Epiphany gives him a shot, and he asks what they did to him. They have to let him go.

Ava asks if Julian was intending to tell her, or was he just going to send a postcard when he settled in… He says, Manhattan. It was Kim’s idea. She wants a change of scenery. Ava suggests he take Kim on a vacation, but he says, it’s too hard for her to be in Port Charles. There are too many reminders of Oscar, and face it, she has no roots in Port Charles. She wants a fresh start, and he wants to be part of it. Ava says, too damn bad.

Chelsea concentrates, and Laura asks if Chelsea has found her brother. Is he trying tell her something? Chelsea says, sorry; she can’t reach him. There’s nothing. It’s almost as if he doesn’t exist. However, she does have a message from Laura’s sister.

Sonny has Yvonne repeat the vows. When he gets to, till death do us part, Yvonne interrupts, and says, forever and always. It’s Mike’s turn, and he says being with her has to be the best time in his life. She makes every moment seem exciting and new. He’ll be lucky if he makes her half as happy as she’s made him, but he promises to give it one helluva good shot. He tells Sonny, sorry, Father, and Sonny says, it’s okay. Mike promises to love and honor Yvonne, and cherish her always and forever. Sonny asks for the rings, and Carly gets them gives them. Sonny asks if Yvonne takes Mike to be her husband. She does, and he asks if Mike takes Yvonne to be his wife. Mike says he absolutely does, and Sonny pronounces them husband and wife. He tells Mike that he can kiss the bride. Mike does, and they all smile and laugh.

Epiphany comes out of Franco’s room, and says he’s back in the bed. Doc says he gave Franco a little something to relax, but he won’t be out for long. He’s going to talk with the neurologist and see if he can get answers. He tells Drew and Elizabeth, hang in there. Elizabeth asks if Cabot was right, and Franco has Drew’s memories. Doc says it’s far beyond anything he’s seen before. He’s ordered an MRI, but he thinks it’s important to confront Franco with the facts. He’s not Drew Cain; he’s Franco Baldwin.

Nina visits Sasha, and asks how she’s feeling. Sasha says she’s been better. Nina is sure the stuffy room doesn’t help, and Finn says the room with the jacuzzi was booked. Sasha laughs and coughs. Nina says she knows they were told to take precautions, but Finn has no idea if Sasha is contagious. He doesn’t recommend her leaving until they find out what she has, but he’ll leave them to discuss it. Nina tells Sasha there’s no real reason she can’t take Sasha home. Sasha says, sorry, but she’s following Finn’s recommendation. She needs to stay there.

Jax tells Hayden, it wasn’t a performance; he feels terrible. Hayden tells him, regardless, they shouldn’t ignore the unexpected opportunity. If he gets Nina to trust him, they can use it to their advantage. Jax says he’s been in Nina’s shoes, when Josslyn was sick. Hayden says, the fact remains, Sasha’s illness has given them an opening.

Chelsea tells Laura, it’s a blonde woman, dressed in white, possibly a nurse. She’s quite a chatterbox. She said she misses gossiping with Richard. Laura says she doesn’t know who it is. Chelsea says she wants to give Laura her love, and is glad she found her happily ever after with Kevin. Chelsea suddenly looks in the distance, and says Laura’s son is in grave danger.

Laura asks, what kind of danger? Chelsea says she can help Laura, but they have to discuss payment. Sorry; it’s not volunteer work. Laura gets it, and asks, how much? Chelsea says the message from her sister is free, but this will be $300. Laura says, $300?! and Chelsea says she’s not forcing Laura. Laura wishes Chelsea took credit cards, and Chelsea says, it’s 2019. Of course (🍷) she can. Laura says, before Chelsea swipes, can she have a minute? She steps away, and calls someone, saying, please pick up.

Ava tells Julian she can’t believe he’s running away with Kim to deal with her loss. Julian says, she’s inconsolable. Ava says Kim isn’t the only one surrounded by reminders. Julian knows losing Kiki was difficult, but Ava says, it’s more than that. It’s been hell. Her phone dings, and she glances at it. She says, now perfect strangers are lining up to tear her to shreds. Julian says, bored people with nothing better to do than try to hurt her. She says, it’s working. It’s starting to weigh on her.

On the phone, Laura asks if they’re sure everything is okay. She says, don’t worry. Everything fine. She just got something in her head. She goes back to the table, and Chelsea asks if they’re good to go. Laura says, no, and Chelsea asks if something is wrong. Laura says she just talked to her son. Chelsea asks if he’s okay, and Laura says, perfect. He’s absolutely fine, but what Chelsea is doing there is not. It’s a violation of penal law 165.135. Fortune telling is illegal in the state of New York.

Curtis thanks someone on the phone, and tells Jordan, everything checks out. No red flags. She asks why he looks disappointed. He says he’s not, but she tells him, come clean. He says he’s going to miss Stella. Jordan says, it’s just a couple of weeks, and it’s a great opportunity. He says he doesn’t want to be selfish, but he loves how close they’ve gotten. Think how they were at this time last year. He’s proud of how they’ve grown as a family. He’s going to miss Stella being around all the time. Standing behind him, Stella listens. He says, like when they were kids. They were tight as a family. He doesn’t like the idea of her travelling by herself at her age. Stella coughs, and says, what age? That she reconnected with a family member means the world to her, but she’ll always be there for him, like in the old days. Watching the Corinthos family deal with Mike, and Marcus deal with Yvonne, brought up the sacrifices she’s made. She doesn’t regret it for a minute, but Tommy is gone, and Curtis and TJ are grown men, and in good hands. She needs to live her life. It might be a little trip to him, but it’s much more to her. it’s everything she’s been putting off for years. She finally has a chance to do something for herself. Does that make sense? Curtis says, perfect sense. He tells her, go, and have an incredible time. She’s earned it. She says she has, and they hug.

Carly tells Sonny that he did a beautiful job. He says, it was nothing, but she says, it was a big deal. Not everyone could have done it. She tells him, look at them; they’re so adorable. Sonny says, for a moment, before the ceremony, he thought Mike recognized him. Carly says she’s glad. Michael tells them that he’s going to take off. He wants to check on Sasha. He says Mike told him to let the reverend know he did good. Sonny says, message received, and Michael leaves.

Franco asks where is he, and what have they done to him? What did they give him? Doc says, it’s a mild sedative. Does Franco remember him? They spoke earlier. Franco says he doesn’t know any of them. Doc says he’s a doctor, and they’re all looking out for his best interests. He says sure they are. That’s why abducted him. Where are they keeping him? Doc says just give them a chance to explain, then he can decide what he believes. Franco says it doesn’t sound like he has much choice. Doc knows it’s jarring, but he’s in the US. Franco says he was deployed to Afghanistan, but Doc says, no; he wasn’t. He’s not deployed, and he’s not Andrew Cain. Franco asks why Doc is saying that, and Drew says because he isn’t. He’s Andrew Cain.

Sasha tells Nina that Finn isn’t sure what she has isn’t contagious, and she doesn’t want Charlotte to get it. Nina says, Charlotte can stay with her mom; Lulu would love it. Sasha says what if Nina or Valentin get it? and Nina says they’ll up their vitamin C. Sasha says she can’t take the risk. She’s staying there until Finn finds a cure. Nina says, he will, and Sasha will get better. Sasha asks what makes her so sure? but Nina doesn’t know. She says, maybe a mother’s instinct.

Hayden tells Jax that she thinks it’s in Helena’s trophy room, but Jax says he’s not taking advantage of Nina’s concern over her daughter. Hayden says she understands. He says he’ll be in touch.

Doc tells Franco, the memories he has belong to Drew. He’s Franco Baldwin. Doc gets a call, and he says it’s someone who specializes in memory study. He wants to drop in on him, and promises he’ll be back. Franco looks at Elizabeth, and asks if she honestly believes she’s his wife. She says she is his wife. He looks at Drew, and says Drew really believes he’s him? Drew looks nothing like him. Showing him a mirror might be an idea.

Julian suggests Ava steer clear of the comments section. Ironically, it’s the same thing he told Kiki during her lawsuit. It was good advice then, and it’s good advice now. Ava says it proves he can’t leave her. He centers her. He says he’s moving to Manhattan, not Siberia. She asks if he isn’t worried Kim is just leaving to avoid her grief. He asks if there’s a better reason, but she says that’s not the kind of pain you can outrun. It follows you wherever you go. She learned the hard way.

Chelsea tells Laura that she knows all about the code. She hands Laura her business card, pointing out that it says for entertainment purposes only. She appreciates Laura’s patronage, and tells her consider the clarification on the house. She was also serious about the warning. It’s not Laura’s son in Africa. It’s the other one she should be worried about. Chelsea leaves, and Laura is like, wha…?

Stella says she has some serious packing to do, and Jordan asks if she’d like a ride to the airport. Stella says TJ is taking her. It will be her last chance to see him before she goes. They hug, and Jordan tells her to have an amazing trip; send pictures. Stella says she will, and tells them to take good care of each other. Cheerio. Jordan tells Curtis, the mystery of the long lost relative has been solved. Curtis says, sort of.

Sonny tells Carly, it’s been a rough couple of years. Carly says it wasn’t easy, but they got through it together. Sonny says they have to keep it up. Why let Mike and Yvonne have all the fun. She asks what he’s talking about, and he says he was just thinking they should renew their vows.

Finn says he’ll have the results of Sasha’s blood tests soon. Michael comes back, and asks how she’s doing. She says he’s sweet, and she hopes he didn’t leave early because of her. He says, maybe. He realized he belonged there with her.

Ava tells Julian that she considered leaving Port Charles a thousand times, but realized she can’t outrun her grief. Julian says, you learn to live with it, and it becomes bearable if you confront it head on. Kim will have to face it sooner or later, no matter where she’s living. Chelsea walks in, and Julian says Ava fires one psychic, and turns around and hires another? Ava says she’s not defending herself for the way she’s dealing with her grief. If he’s not going to judge Kim, don’t judge her. She goes over to Chelsea, and thanks her for coming. Chelsea asks, what’s up? and Ava says her brother is leaving town. That means it’s even more important for her to make contact with Kiki. Chelsea says, Kiki isn’t ready, but don’t worry too much. Her brother isn’t going anywhere.

Laura sees Doc, who asks how it went. She says she was sure Chelsea was a charlatan, but she was convincing. She gave Laura a message from her sister Amy. Doc says, amazing. Does she think it was genuine? She says she was starting to, when Chelsea said her son was in grave danger. He says, Lucky? She says she was upset, but called him, and he was fine. Then Chelsea said she was talking about her other son. She didn’t seem to know he was dead though.

Hayden makes a call, and says she was hoping to hire a charter to Spoon Island – undetected.

Nina looks in Sasha’s window, and sees her with Michael. Jax joins her, and says he thought she could use some company, or at least decent coffee. She thanks him.

Elizabeth tells Franco that Drew looks different because he was hit by a car, and had facial reconstruction. Franco isn’t sure he buys that, but Drew says, it happened. Franco says if that’s him with a new face, how do they explain his own face. Elizabeth says he hasn’t looked in a mirror, has he? He says, sure; he’ll play along. He doesn’t know how long the two of them can keep this up though. Elizabeth hands him a mirror, and he looks at his reflection.

Tomorrow, Maxie tells Peter his mind games aren’t working during the softball game, Hayden tells Jax the clock is ticking, and Drew tells Franco that he’s not going anywhere.

In her interview, she says she and Shane have been married ten years, and it’s a little bumpy right now. Shane is studying for the bar, and there’s no communication. They’ve had some high highs and some low lows. We see a clip of them at the counselor, and Emily is saying she thinks it was easier for Shane. He didn’t go through the physical and emotional things she did to get the embryos. In-laws Larry and Pary arrive, and Emily introduces them to Chef Alex. Her sister-in-law Shireen joins them. Everyone sits for dinner, and Alex serves. Shireen wonders if Shane is going to make an appearance. Emily says they don’t know the plan if Shane doesn’t pass the bar. Shireen says when she was taking it, her father said, if she passed, they’d celebrate with dinner, but if she didn’t, they’d still be hungry, so they’d go out to dinner. In Emily’s interview, she says she’s sure Shane feels like he has a ton of bricks on top of him from all the people wanting him to pass the bar. She tries to FaceTime with Shane, but says, he must be in the library. He calls, and tells her that he feels like he’s being hounded; it’s getting to be a level of harassment. No one respects him saying he doesn’t want calls. Is he supposed to call and ask how it’s going? Emily says, forget it. She had a family practice for a long time, and then went to Burning Man. Burning Man changed everything. Dr. Deb is connected to energies, and talks to angels. She asks if Deb has the schedule, and if she’s good. In Braunwyn’s interview, she says when she was growing up, her mom didn’t have much time, so she was shuttled to different family members. That’s why she thought it was important to be a stay-at-home mom. She wanted it so much when she was a kid. The grandma her kids have is nothing like the mom she had growing up. Which is a good thing. She’s fun now. They call her Rainbow Deb.

Kelly checks out Gina’s new house. In Gina’s interview, she says when they moved to the house in Coto, she thought it was her happily ever after. When things didn’t work out, she needed a change. Kelly helps Gina pick out an outfit for a date. Gina says the guy she’s going out with talks like an adult. Kelly says, try dating a thirty-year-old who’s a complete moron. We flash back to one of the many dudes who were on her bench. I think they called him the milk man. Kelly asks if Matt is dating, but Gina doesn’t know. She tells Kelly, he always says no, but maybe. Kelly wonders if he asks Gina. In her interview, Gina says she’s nervous about Matt’s reaction. She doesn’t want to do anything to mess up their co-parenting. They’re never alone. In Miami, they had a love shack where they could be by themselves. When they moved, they knew it was important to have a place where they get to be Sean and Braunwyn. She tells him about Kelly, and says her friend Gina is going through a divorce. It reminded her of what they went through when he was traveling. Jacob called him bye-bye daddy. Sean says he didn’t want to be away from the family so much. When he was at a meeting with some bigwigs, he’d asked what they’d change about their lives, and they all said they’d give it all up to spend more time with their families. That’s when he knew he needed to be home. In Braunwyn’s interview, she says she loved him and the kids, but hated the situation. They were so caught up in who they were supposed to be, they never talked about things like preferring less money to having him home.

Tamra reminds Eddie of their first Valentine’s Day. He was out of the country, and sent her chocolate-covered strawberries. She asks if he remembers. He says he does, and she says, no he doesn’t. He says she’s right; he doesn’t. She says he’s a bad liar.

Braunwyn leads Sean to the bedroom.

Eddie and Tamra go out to eat. Eddie gives her a box. Inside is a pair of Valentino shoes. In her interview, Tamra says she thinks Eddie has a shoe fetish. Tamra says the last year wasn’t horrible, but not one of their better years. We flash back to Eddie going to the hospital for surgery. In Tamra’s interview, she says, since Eddie had heart issues, seeing a heart is a big deal to them. She tells Eddie about going with Shannon to her follow-up for her non-surgical facelift. She looks good. She says, last year, she knows Eddie might have been annoyed with Shannon – we flash back to Eddie saying, Shannon thinks her sh*t doesn’t stink – and he asks if she’s excusing last year. Tamra says, absolutely, and he asks if she’s doing the same with Vicki. She says a big part of it is that she doesn’t trust Vicki. Vicki texts that she hates Gina; then she hears from Gina that Vicki called and was so sweet. When Gina got the DUI, Vicki sent her the article and laughed. You don’t worry about someone, then talk sh*t about them. She thinks Vicki is the most insecure person she’s ever met. In her interview, she says she’s known Vicki for fourteen years, but can’t figure her out. She has an angel/devil thing going on. She likes Vicki’s sweet side, but she has a horrible side. She never knows which Vicki she’s getting. She tells Eddie, the party is Saturday, and there’s a lot of work to be done, like tomorrow. He says he has a clear day tomorrow, and she says she loves him.

Tamra gets ready for the party.

Kelly can’t believe Vicki is going to be there. She doesn’t want to deal or talk to her. Shannon asks who else is coming, and Kelly says, Joe. Shannon says, Joe who? and Kelly says, Joe mama.

Emily tells Gina, the last time she was there, she threatened to kill Kelly. We flash back to that. She says her goal is to not threaten to kill anyone. Gina says, it’s good to have goals.

Tamra oversees lead caterer Jennifer. The guests begin to arrive. Gina tells Tamra that she’s met Braunwyn, and she’s cool. She has seven kids. Tamra asks, why? Emily brings flowers in a vase. Kelly says, Tamra is stepping it up. Emily tells Shannon that she looks good. In Shannon’s interview, she says, is she excited to see Emily? No. She has nothing to say to her. Sorry. Emily says she needs to get on the Shannon whatever-happened-here. Kelly asks if Emily didn’t see Shannon’s Insta-stories about her fitness journey. We see a clip of Shannon on a walk with her dog Archie. Emily says Shannon blocked her on Instagram. In her interview, Shannon says she doesn’t know where she stands with Emily. It’s the year of positive and fun. She and Tamra blocked her at same time. In Emily’s interview, she says nothing has changed in her relationship with Shannon. Shannon thinks tequila is in order. Sean and Braunwyn arrive, and in her interview, Tamra says, they’re a super cute couple, and full of energy.

Tamra gives the upstairs tour. Yes. Her house is beyond anything we ever had or will have. She says her big decision every day is which staircase to take. Shannon tells Braunwyn about how she married late, and got pregnant on her honeymoon. Ryan asks where Emily’s husband is, and Emily says, he’s studying for the bar. He guesses they won’t be having a beer together, but Emily says they won’t when he’s done either. He doesn’t drink; he’s Mormon. Kelly tells Braunwyn that she hopes Vicki doesn’t talk to her. She doesn’t like her. Tamra tells Shannon, Vicki is coming. She’s said she’s going to bring up the pig video. Shannon says, that sounds like something you’d see in a mafia movie. Tamra says Kelly sent Vicki a pig instead of a text, and shows Shannon a video of an emoji pig talking in Kelly’s voice, and giving Vicki the business. In Tamra’s interview, she says Slade called Vicki a pig on stage. We flash back to Slade trying his hand at stand-up, a billion years ago. Kelly knows it’s a sore subject. Vicki even had her nose done because of it. It’s really a low blow.

Vicki and Steve arrive. Tamra drinks as fast as possible out of Shannon’s glass, and nearly chokes, saying, it’s straight tequila. In Vicki’s interview, she says finally, Tamra moved to Coto; to her hidden gem, where it all started. Braunwyn says her mom told her, not everyone is going to love you, and if they do, you’re doing something wrong. Vicki comes outside, and says hello to everyone. Kelly tries to blend in with the woodwork. Someone asks about Sean’s necklace, and while he’s explaining, Vicki gets overly interested, and a little touchy-feely. In her interview, Braunwyn says she doesn’t think Vicki is flirting with her husband, but eww. He might be young enough to be her son. Vicki says hasn’t met Braunwyn, and Shannon introduces her. Lunch is served. Vicki tells Steve that she’s doing tequila. He says he’s doing water. Kelly says she’s not engaging with Vicki. No way. Her strategy is to stay TF away from Vicki. She’s like a disease, and Kelly isn’t about to catch anything.

Kelly disappears. Gina says she’s going to get a drink, check her makeup, and keep it moving. Tamra tells Vicki that she knows how to clear a room, but Vicki says it’s not her. She tells Emily about the pig video. In Emily’s interview, she says she gets it. She’s been there. We flash back to the reunion, and Emily saying that people are calling her fat ass and disgusting. She says, if you go after people’s looks, or their body, or how they’re built… She just doesn’t do that. Vicki says she’s had a couple of tweaks. Emily says she has to use the bathroom, and goes inside. Tamra says, another one down, and Tamra and Vicki are left alone. Inside, Emily tells Kelly about Vicki showing her the pig emoji. Kelly says Vicki left out what she’d sent first. It was a huge text about what Kelly should and shouldn’t do, and her response was a pig emoji. In Kelly’s interview, she says she used the emoji because she didn’t want to type out a dissertation on why Vicki is a POS. She just sent a mirror image of what Vicki looks like. Oink, oink.

Vicki tells Tamra that she was going to say something to Kelly, but she walked away. She doesn’t understand, since Kelly sent a text saying she forgave Vicki. Then people talk, and it lights the fire again. Tamra says Vicki is the one who claimed Kelly did cocaine. She tells Vicki to do her best not to say anything. Retaliation isn’t best. Vicki tells Tamra to try it. In Vicki’s interview, she says, at 57, she’s doing her best to look good, but there are some things she can’t change. Tamra isn’t a good friend, but she was at one time. Inside, there’s a discussion about who insulted who first. Tamra tells Vicki that she wants to set it up, and leaves Vicki standing by herself outside.

Tamra looks for Kelly. She tells Kelly that she had a conversation with Vicki, who would like to talk. Kelly says she doesn’t want to, but Tamra suggests if it’s not what Kelly wants to hear, walk away. Kelly says Vicki completely ruined her reputation. Kelly has nothing to say to her. In her interview, Kelly says she’s upset that Tamra and Shannon haven’t picked lane. They’ve hated Vicki forever. We see clips of Vicki’s various run-ins with them. Kelly asks why they’re choosing Vicki over her. It doesn’t make sense. Eddie says he could use a tequila drink, and wonders if the girls need more tequila.

Tamra tells Vicki that Kelly doesn’t want to talk, and Vicki says, good. She has other friends. Tamra says Vicki can’t be an a-hole, and Vicki asks if she’s siding with Kelly right now. Tamra says she is, and Vicki asks why they’re sitting on the sidelines. Tamra says because they’re not involved. Vicki says, Kelly isn’t innocent; they’re both wrong. Shannon suggests Vicki asks what she can do, and Tamra says, how can she make it better? Vicki says they have to help her.

Vicki asks Kelly if she’ll talk, but Kelly says she has nothing to say to Vicki. Vicki says she has the message where Kelly says she forgave her, and follows Kelly inside. She asks if Kelly thinks she’s a beauty queen. You don’t talk about women like that. Kelly says, no, she doesn’t think she’s a beauty queen, and get out of her face. Braunwyn jokes, it’s going really well. Tamra tells Vicki that she hurt Kelly’s feelings. Kelly repeats she has nothing to say to Vicki. Leave her alone. She goes back outside.

Kelly sits on a patio couch. Eddie and the other guys watch, amused. Vicki follows Kelly to the couch, and sits across from her. She says she cares about Kelly, but Kelly says, no she doesn’t. Tamra and Shannon literally sit on the sidelines.  Kelly says Vicki doesn’t understand what she’s done to her. Vicki hurt her daughter. Vicki says she doesn’t want to hurt Kelly’s daughter. Kelly asks if Vicki has ever seen her do cocaine.

Next time, Vicki claims to know more than she said, Shannon has dinner with Braunwyn, and Gina tells Emily that she can’t talk about it.

💡 A Genius Move…

Whoever decided it was a great idea to bring V.C. Andrews’s books to life on Lifetime, deserves a promotion. While I loved the original, atmospheric film version of Flowers in the Attic, the ending wasn’t faithful to the book. Once I got past Heather Graham as Corrine – and mostly because it looked like she hadn’t aged since she was Roller Girl in Boogie Nights – I enjoyed Lifetime’s take on the Dollanganger saga. Grabbing onto their own coattails, at present the Casteel family has a weekly gig at the network. The books aren’t even close to being good literature. The dialogue is unnatural, and the stories are cringeworthy; yet somehow, they became a right of passage during the late 80s and early 90s. I’ve read quite a few of them, and forget at what point I stopped. Oddly enough, V.C. Andrews kept writing long after her death in 1986, which is probably a testament to how formulaic the books are. Yet I watch, fascinated, with millions of other viewers, the same way we read years ago. I do wonder though, if Jason Priestly ever hesitates in the middle of a scene, thinking, this is the stupidest thing I’ve ever said, even if he was on Beverly Hills 90210.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Kiki drags Spinelli inside her apartment. She looks for her phone, throwing things around. Spinelli tells her to use his, but she says everyone is having a romantic evening, and here she is yelling. Spinelli asks if he should call someone, so she isn’t alone, and she asks why, when she has him? She grabs him and kisses him.

Amy apologizes to Griff for speaking out of turn regarding his love life. She says if he can find happiness he should hang on to it for as long as he can. If Ava makes him happy, that’s all that matters. He says he’s in luck, because Ava makes him very happy

Ava lights candles and puts rose petals on the bed. I can’t even express how annoying I think rolling around on sticky petals would be. I have no clue why everyone thinks this is so romantic. She looks at Griff’s text, and practices saying I love you.

Michael sees Sonny at the hospital. He’s looking for Mike. He went to run an errand, and Sonny hasn’t heard from him. He’s getting worried.

Carly answers a call from unknown caller, who says, I’m here, and hangs up. She doesn’t exactly look worried or scared. How is this plan supposed to work?

Alexis runs into Finn at the hospital. He accuses her of following him. She says she’s trying to distract herself, and asks if Anna’s mixed signals have gotten any clearer.

Anna goes to the Otisville, New York Correctional Facility. She thanks Andre for seeing her so late. He says it’s like boarding school with jumpsuits. She tells him Faison is dead. He heard, and says it must be a great relief, He doesn’t think she’s there to tell him what he already knows, and says if she needs a shrink, his license was suspended. She says she wanted to see her friend. There’s something she’s never told a soul about Faison. A secret she’s been running from her whole life. She had a baby, and it was his.

She says she never told Faison or anyone else. Andre says that’s understandable. Anna says Faison had a son, Henrik, who was responsible for holding Jason at the clinic. She thought it was a possibility Henrik was the baby, but Valentin knew more about what happened to her child than she did. She didn’t hold the baby or look at it; she couldn’t. According to Valentin, the midwife said it was a little girl. She never doubted her decision to give the child up – until now. She can’t stop thinking about her. She’s consumed with her, and doesn’t know how to act around anyone. Andre asks who she’s talking about.

Finn tells Alexis that he and Anna aren’t a couple. Alexis says she and Julian aren’t either, but it doesn’t stop the signals from being mixed. She inherited Laura’s schedule, and Charlie’s was booked for the viewing party. Finn says she did fine the other day, but she says it could be lethal combination if she loses; failure, her ex, and a bar. He sees her problem, and asks if he should come with her.

Spinelli says he’ll get Kiki some water. She thinks she’s losing her touch, but he says his heart is fully engaged elsewhere, but even if it wasn’t, he’d be remiss to take advantage. She insists she’s not drunk. Well, maybe a little. She doesn’t feel good.

Griff starts to leave. Spinelli calls Amy. He says he’s in a delicate situation, and would be grateful for her help. He’s at Kiki’s apartment. He escorted her home, and thinks she has alcohol poisoning. Amy calls Griff back to the desk, and tells him about Kiki. Griff says her apartment is on the way to Ava’s, and to tell Spinelli he’ll be there shortly

Carly calls the pay phone back. That lonely pay phone in the middle of Port Charles nowhere. The doorbell rings. It’s Diane. Carly is snippy, and Diane asks what got her in a foul mood. Carly says she just got a weird phone call. It’s as if she… but she doesn’t finish.

Michael asks when Sonny last heard from Mike. Sonny says Mike went to buy flowers for his lady friend, and left his phone. He went to all of Mike’s places, but no one has seen him. He must have gotten distracted. Michael thinks he’ll turn up, but Sonny is worried he’s in serious trouble.

Nelle sit at the counter at Kelly’s, and tells the baby their plan is working. I’d like to know how she came to that conclusion. She orders some decaf, and Mike pours it.

Ava calls Griff, but gets voicemail. She calls the hospital, and asks if Griff has left. Amy says he should be getting to Kiki’s apartment soon. Ava hangs up before Amy can explain.

Griff asks Kiki what’s going on. He heard she had too much to drink, and asks if she’s eaten. She says, shots, but he meant food. He tells Spinelli he can handle it from here. Spinelli wishes her a restful night and a minimal hangover. Kiki tells Griff that Spinelli left like everyone does, and begs Griff not to leave her too. He says he won’t.

Ava keeps calling Griff, but there’s no answer. She tells herself to get a grip. There has to be a reasonable explanation.

Carly tells Diane it’s probably a prank. Diane has forms for Sonny to sign, but Carly doesn’t know when he’ll be back, and asks if she can sign them. He’s setting up a trust for Avery, so being the legal guardian, Diane needs his signature. Diane asks Carly to tell Michael to return her calls. It’s never too early to plan for his child’s future. Carly asks her to wait; she needs some advice.

Michael tells Sonny that Mike always got in messes now and then, but came out okay. Sonny says when he’s pushed to a corner, he runs. If that’s the case, he has to find him.

The waitress asks if she can help Mike, telling him only staff can serve customers. He drops the coffee pot, and she says she’s calling the police. He tells her to go ahead.

Andre asks who Anna is thinking of letting into her life. Who does she fear sharing the secret with? She says anyone. Just the thought of telling Robin scares her, but there is someone she needs to confide in; one person in particular. She takes Andre’s hand and says she’s not being fair. He says they’re friends, and he has nothing but time. He can’t help her if she won’t tell him what’s going on. Who is she thinking of letting into her life?

Carly tells Diane that Nelle is going to be tied to their family for the rest of her life, and she’s concerned about what that means. If Nelle wanted to keep her and Sonny from the baby, she could. Diane says she’d have to show cause, but there may be things from their past they don’t want to come to light. She says Michael would fight the injunction, but Nelle is the biological mother. She has no criminal record, and would probably be shown in a favorable light. She wonders if Carly has reason to think she’d take it that far. The last she heard, Nelle was playing nice, and the last thing she’d want is to alienate Michael. Carly says all she knows is that if Nelle could get rid of her, she would, in a heartbeat.

A cop comes into Kelly’s, and the waitress explains about Mike. The cop asks Nelle if Mike threatened her, but she says she assumed he worked there. The cop asks if he can help Mike, and Mike tells him to ask the waitress who she thinks she is, telling him what to do; he runs the place. She says he doesn’t work there. Mike takes out his wallet to show his ID. The cop reaches toward him, and Mike backs up, sending the wallet flying. They argue, and Nelle picks it up. She sees pictures of Michael and Morgan.

Sonny tells Michael that he punished Mike for walking out on the family, but decided to learn from his mistake. He wasn’t there for Dante, but for Michael and the kids there was nothing more important than being a good father; being consistent, and showing how much they meant to him. He knows Michael will do that for his child. Michael’s phone rings. Nelle says she knows it sounds weird, but asks if he knows a Michael Corbin. Michael says that’s his grandfather, and Nelle tells him to get to Kelly’s right away.

Griff goes to the kitchen to get Kiki some water. She says he’s so good, it makes him bad. She struggles with taking her top off, and he tries to help her put it back on. Ava walks in, and asks, what the hell is going on here?

Andre asks if Anna is seeing someone. She says they got close, but the secret closed back in on her, and she had to push him away. Now Faison is dead, but the secret still weighs on her. Andre says he spent the better part of the last decade running from his fears, and tells her not to make the same mistake. If he deserves her heart, he deserves her truth.

Finn tells Alexis that she needs someone in her corner, but he knows asking for help isn’t easy. She asks how she should introduce him; as her date or her sober buddy? He says both, and she calls him a sober buddy date. She says when she’s nervous, she likes to eat, and asks if he wants to get something. He says he’d like that.

Griff tells Ava it’s not how it looks. Ava says a chatty nurse told her Griff was there, and she was worried something was wrong. Griff says Kiki had too much to drink. Kiki tells Ava that she drunk-dialed Dillon, and he was with another girl. Ava thinks she should sleep it off, and Kiki toddles to the bedroom. Ava tells Griff it’s not a good look for an aspiring doctor to be carried out of a bar. He tells her not to be mad; Kiki is going through a rough time. She says it’s not Kiki who she’s angry with.

Diane tells Carly that draconian as it is, it’s nearly impossible to sever parental ties. Nelle has a shady past, but it’s not enough. Speaking as her attorney, she tells Carly to stay out of it; it’s Michael’s problem to solve. Diane says he can be very canny, and tells her to look at how he got custody of Avery. He can be ruthless when motivated, and nothing is more motivating than being a parent. Diane’s phone rings. She says it’s the international firm, and she’ll call later, but Carly tells her to call now. She’ll tell Max to meet her at the restaurant. Diane says she won’t even bill Carly – it’s her Valentine’s Day present. She leaves, and Carly looks at her phone.

Sonny and Michael arrive at Kelly’s. Nelle says she didn’t know who to call, and Michael says she did the right thing. Mike tells Sonny to let the cop know he did nothing wrong, unless pouring coffee for customers is against the law. The waitress says he was serving customers and cleaning up; he wouldn’t get out. Sonny tells Mike they don’t know he hasn’t worked there in years, and don’t know he used to manage Kelly’s. Mike says he didn’t think it through, and might have lost his temper. He apologizes. He hasn’t been sleeping well, and gets mixed up. Michael tells the cop that Bobbie owns the place, and he can call her, but the cop recognizes their names. Sonny offers to pay for anything Mike broke, and takes him outside. Michael thanks Nelle. She’s just glad his grandfather is okay. Michael says he won’t forget this.

Carly tries calling the number again, but Sonny interrupts, coming in with Mike. She asks if he made it to the florist. At first, Mike is confused, but then says he didn’t get to it. Michael says they were closed, and Carly tells him there’s always tomorrow. He tells them he’s beat, and goes upstairs. Carly asks where he was. Michael has to leave, and says Nelle did them a big favor. Carly gives Sonny a look.

The waitress gives Nelle a plate on the house; she saved the day. Nelle tells the baby their daddy seemed grateful. Maybe it’s not necessary to destroy Granny Carly. She feels the baby kick, and says clearly it disagrees. The closer she gets to getting back with Michael, the more Carly will be gunning for her. She has no choice but destroy Carly before Carly destroys her.

Ava tells Griff that she spent her whole night looking at the phone. Didn’t it occur to him to call her? He says she told him to meet at her place, no matter how late it was. Since her surgery, she’s made him feel like he’s in the wrong. She says it was Valentine’s Day, and he says he thought she’d want him to take care of Kiki. She tells him it’s become a pattern, and not just with Kiki. He says he’s a sympathetic person, and asks if it’s a problem. She admires him for it, but just wishes one night he’d put her first, especially when she was about to – He says, about to what?

Alexis and Finn go to Kelly’s. Alexis asks him to order for her, and says she’ll be right back. Finn cleans the empty cup on the table with his napkin. Anna walks in, and says she’s meeting someone; she won’t be in his way. He says she’s not. She says there’s something she wanted to tell him about the two of them, but Alexis comes back.

Griff asks Ava if they can’t forget about it, and move on, admitting he should have kept her in the loop. The relationship thing is new to him. He tells her that they still have a few more minutes. They can pick up where they left off. Kiki calls for her mom. Ava says there’s always next year.

Sonny tells Carly that Mike was serving customers like he used to at Kelly’s. She says her mom did say he could always come back. Sonny says the look on Mike’s face when he realized what was happening seemed like he didn’t know how got there. He thinks something must be wrong with Mike. Carly hugs him.

Anna tells Finn he doesn’t have to explain. Diane comes in, and grabs Anna. She says Max is waiting, and pulls Anna away. Alexis tells Finn that Anna is wrong about what she thinks. Finn says she made her position clear, and he doesn’t think she cares. Diane tells Anna that no one is happier than her about Alexis moving on, but when did that become a thing? She says she’s been contacted by a Swiss bank to handle Faison’s estate in North America, and Anna is a beneficiary.

Tomorrow, Griff asks Ava if he should pretend nothing happened, Sonny tells Mike it will be over with before he knows it, and Monica apologizes for interrupting Nelle.

💬 Odds & Ends

🎥 The Lifetime network is like Bruce Campbell. It’s finally accepted and embraced its identity as a channel that shows promising movies with crappy endings, and is churning them out like crazy. Cocaine Godmother: The Griselda Blanco Story aside. There are always exceptions to the rule. I like to call it the hangover network, since you can snooze off and on through an entire day of films, but still won’t feel like you missed anything.

📺 That being said, UnReal returns to Lifetime on Monday, February 26th at 10 pm.

🍲 Winner of MasterChef’s season six, Claudia Sandoval now judges the chefs on MasterChef Latino (Sunday at 8 pm on Telemundo). A fiery, stylish redhead, she quickly became one of my favorites. If her last name sounds familiar, it’s also the last name of the Tom who isn’t Schwartz on Vanderpump Rules. As far as I know though, they are not related.

🔪 Tonight, on Top Chef, Chris packed his knives and went.

📖 The Book of John Gray is back on Tuesday, March 13th at 10 pm on OWN. Snagging TBN’s spot-on description: John Gray continues to defy descriptions and labels by seamlessly integrating worship, laughter, preaching, exhortation, and encouragement into one package. I loved this show the last time around, and hope I can squeeze it in.

😳 In this age of not offending anyone (yes, I’m rolling my eyes), why are women still made to look so ridiculous in commercials? The one that’s  irking me in particular is for the Kyleena IUD, where the women get really stupid looks on their faces while trying to remember if they took their pill. Then suddenly, they realize they didn’t have to! I dunno. I think I’d recall if I’d had surgery to insert a foreign object into my body, but that’s just me.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Amy 2.0 hunts down Nathan at Kelly’s. She thanks him for coming to her rescue. He says he didn’t do anything, and compliments her on her vocal talent. She says he did more than he knows.

Lulu sees Valentin and Nina together with Charlotte. She tells Laura that Valentin sings one stupid song, and they’re a happy family again. Laura tells her not to ruin the night. Thank you.

Valentin asks Charlotte which song she liked best, and she says all of them. Nina says she liked Kiki and Dillon’s song best, but Charlotte tells Valentin she’s teasing. Charlotte goes off with the other kids. Nina says it was a rocky start, but a strong finish. Anna watches them.

Andre tells Anna not to do anything rash where Valentin is concerned. She says she may not have a choice.

Jake wants to do his magic act. Elizabeth suggests they do it tomorrow, but he says it has to be now. She asks Lucy to help explain that the ball is over, but Lucy says they still have the room for a while. Jake and the other kids are like, pleeeease? and Jason walks in.

Ava says she doesn’t suppose Sonny and Carly are in the market for some art. Carly says they know what she did to their son.

Amy tells Nathan not every guy would have stepped up to escort her in. Nathan says it wasn’t anything. She thanks him again, and asks if he’s talked to Maxie. He says he tried, but she had a business thing to go to. Amy says Maxie is easily distracted. She talks about how Nathan makes it work, but Maxie doesn’t make much of an effort.

Andre tells Anna that Valentin isn’t entirely innocent, but Anna says he’s not guilty either. Andre asks why she’s always defending him, and she says what other choice did he have? Returning the Chimera to the WSB wasn’t an option; they’d probably have shot him. She says he was desperate and running for his life. Having such a distinctive look, he could have easily been picked off by the WSB. Helena was despicable, but also filthy rich. Anna doesn’t believe Valentin thought Helena would ever activate it, but just use it as leverage, and he was right; she died before using it. Anna says Robert, Frisco, and the WSB are searching and clearing the island, but there’s no guarantee that she left it there.

Valentin says Nina is pulling away again, and asks if it’s Anna. She asks when isn’t it Anna?

Jason asks if Jake changed his mind, and Jake says his mom doesn’t like it. Elizabeth tells Jason that it’s late, and Jake has this tone in his voice; he sounds intense like it’s crucial, and she has a weird feeling. Franco says the Chimera has nothing to do with the magic act, which shows how little he knows. Jason says keep it short; what harm can it do? Emma thinks it’s not looking good for an okay, but Jake says he’s going to finish this tonight.

Ava says she doesn’t know what Sonny and Carly are talking about, and she’s calling the cops. Carly says please do, but Ava doesn’t know what they must have been told. Carly wants to know why, and how could she? She says Lucy told them everything. Ava claims that she and Morgan were back together at the end, so she covered it up. Carly says Morgan died, and it’s on her. Sonny says she tampered with his medication, and Carly adds that she replaced the lithium with placebos, and sabotaged him because of Kiki.

Nathan and Amy have coffee. He says it would be one thing just living across the country, but Maxie is with her daughter and her daughter’s father. Amy says if he really wants her, fight for her

Jason says it’s Elizabeth’s call. She says fine, but if there’s a hint of a problem, they shut it down.

Andre tells Anna that he’s an armchair archaeologist, and knows what a chimera is. He thinks it’s a strange name for bio-toxin, and Anna tells him it’s a hybrid of several different strains and extremely contagious. If it’s released, it will spread like wildfire.

Nina tells Valentin that she knows they’re back on track, and she’s starting to believe him. Charlotte runs in, saying Jake is going to do his magic show, and asks to stay. Valentin says all right, and Nina agrees.

Lucy thanks Laura. They awkwardly almost hug, and end up fist bumping, and it’s one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. Lulu tells Laura that Jake wants to do his magic act with the birthday gift that Spencer sent to him. Laura says that didn’t happen.

Ava says it was Sonny who was responsible for Morgan’s death. Sonny wants to know what she did and why. Carly says Ava pushed Morgan into a downward spiral to get him away from Kiki. Ava says she wasn’t jealous; she wanted Kiki to be happy. Morgan was sick, and it wreaked havoc with Kiki’s life. She brings up all the dangerous situations that Morgan had put Kiki in, and asks what mother wouldn’t protect her child? Carly tells her that it was Kiki’s choice, but Ava says a mother knows best, and she knew Kiki would be happier, and so would Morgan, if he could let her go. Sonny says she decided to move it along by changing his medication to fake pills, and Ava says she was just protecting her daughter. Carly tells her that she always hides behinds her kids, but it doesn’t absolve her from the choices she’s made, like killing Connie, sleeping with Morgan, and messing with the pills. She tells Ava to own it for once. Sonny tells her to admit that she’s the reason Morgan spun out of control. He screams at her to say it, and she finally says that she did it

Nathan says it’s Amy’s turn to spill her guts. She says there’s nothing to spill. She tells him that there is a guy that she’s liked since high school. She asks if it’s pathetic, and Nathan says she’s committed. I’m thinking she’s probably a size 2, even though she’s supposed to be the “fat” girl. I saw Kathy Brier (Marcie from One Life to Live) in Hairspray on Broadway, and met her afterward. She’s about half my size, and I’m not all that big. I figure I’d take up the entire screen.

Ava says what now, adding that she’s been tortured every moment since. Carly asks if she can imagine what it was like for Morgan. He finally got control, until she rigged the game. She stole his victory from him, and he blamed himself. Sonny and Carly recite things from his journal, like how he couldn’t understand what was happening, and his parents will be disappointed. Carly thought she’d never hate anyone like she did Olivia-J, but she tells Ava that she was wrong.

Laura tells Lulu that Spencer wants to give Jake his present in person, and never mentioned a magic set. Lulu says she doesn’t think she misunderstood.

Charlotte and Emma introduce the Wizard of Awesome – Jake. Charlotte sneezes, and Jake presents lots of handkerchiefs from his pocket. Franco says there’s nothing to worry about, and Elizabeth tells him to say that when it’s over. The girls bring up the box. Jake taps on the box with his magic wand. He sees Helena, who tells him to let the grand finale begin.

Nathan asks Amy about the reunion planning. Amy says she and Dillon have come up with some good ideas. He hopes Maxie can go. He realizes Amy doesn’t like her, but Amy says she knows Nathan does. He tells Amy that Maxie isn’t evil, and Amy says she’s just selfish, like Daisy from The Great Gatsby, and makes comparisons, ending with how she breaks Gatsby’s heart.

Helena makes an okay sign. Elizabeth asks if Jake is okay, since he’s staring off in the distance, and tells him that he can stop. Helena says, you know what you want, and he says he wants to finish. Andre’s phone rings, and he has to leave. Laura looks awful. She can’t stop thinking about Spencer, and has bad feeling, although she’s not sure why. She tells Jason there’s something he should know that could mean something. Spencer didn’t send the magic set, and nobody knows who did.

Ava tells Sonny and Carly that she didn’t want this to happen; she thought it was harmless. Sonny asks in what universe? She says that she thought someone would notice and send him back to the hospital. Sonny says she made it impossible for him to get help; even if he hadn’t died, he wouldn’t have known the pills weren’t real. The doctor would have upped the dosage, and he would have wandered around in a drug induced haze. Carly calls her an evil, horrible person who seduced her son, and when he was finally free of her, she did this to him, someone she supposedly loved. Ava says they can’t make her feel worse than she does already, and Sonny says he doesn’t know about that. She says she cared deeply for Morgan, and was devastated when he died; the guilt was overwhelming. Carly says she persevered – bravo. (Well, actually, that should be brava in this case.)  Carly says that Morgan is dead because of what she set in motion, and it wasn’t a mistake like with her sister. Ava says that he wasn’t supposed to die, and Carly says, but he did, and she has to live with that. Both she and Carly have raccoon eyes.

Amy tells Nathan she’s sorry that she brought up Maxie; Maxie isn’t a flapper, and he’s not a bootlegger. She asks him to watch her stuff while she goes to ladies room. When she’s gone, a guy thanks Nathan for his advice. When he leaves, a woman appears, telling Nathan that he helped her face the truth – Man Landers to the rescue. Nathan is like wth? When Amy returns, he asks when he became Ask Man Landers? He shows her an advice column on his phone that has his picture at the top.

Sonny says he should have killed Ava, and his son would still be alive. Ava says she’s sorry, but Sonny says she doesn’t get to rob Morgan of his life, and rob him and Carly of Morgan, and say sorry. She says she’ll feel how she feels, and Sonny wonders how Avery is going to feel when she finds out, since she loved her big brother. Kiki knows she’s a monster, and now they have more proof. Ava says as punishment, they’re going to turn her daughters against her, but they’ll be the only ones hurt. Sonny says that the truth will set them free. He’s telling whole world, even if he has to sky write it. Carly says Ava is going to pay, and Sonny says if she’s lucky, after everyone has spit on her and turned their backs, he’ll put her out of her misery. Creepy Sonny.

Jason asks if Laura is sure. She says it’s probably nothing, but thought he should know. He starts to say maybe… but doesn’t finish. He flashes back to Helena saying as good as he is, Jake will be… Laura asks if he’s remembering something. Helena tells Jake that it’s time.

Jake says, now, the final trick that none of them could have ever imagined. Helena says it’s the greatest trick of all, and Jake repeats her words. He opens the box. Jason remembers Helena saying that as good as Jason is, Jake will be the greatest killer of them all. Jason tells Jake to stop.

Amy wonders what Nathan is talking about. Nathan tells her about the people who just approached him, and Amy slips, saying that he did some good. Nathan says he recognized the picture in the column from the card that she stole. Amy prefers the word borrowed, and he realizes that this is what she meant when she said helped more than knew. He asks why she’s pretending her advice is his?

Ava says she assumes they’re done here, but Carly says no. She wants to know if it was fun ruining her son’s life, turning him into someone they didn’t recognize, and that he didn’t either; someone he didn’t want to be. He was scared and confused, blaming himself. Carly will never forgive her. Ava says she doesn’t expect her to. Carly tells her to stop with the sorry business. She picked on a kid. Why doesn’t she mess with someone her own size? Ava throws the lantern to the ground, and it explodes in a ball of fire. Carly falls down, unconscious.

Jason tells Jake that it’s time to shut things down; it’s late and they need to go home. Jake sees Helena waiting. Anna comes up to Jason, and Jake holds up the Chimera. Valentin recognizes it, and gets up. Helena says bravo (which is correct this time), and Jake pushes the button, lighting it up. They all freeze.

On Monday, an encore of the “Good-by to Tracy” espisode. On Tuesday, Amy offers to help save Nathan’s marriage, Helena tells Jake to do what he was born to do, and Ava says they’re not going anywhere.

Things to Ponder…

Who just tries the door and walks right in when someone doesn’t answer? Why do Lifetime movies suck you in with a good plot, and then give you a disappointing ending? Even worse, why do I fall for it every time?

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Elizabeth wonders why Franco is asking her to marry him right now. He says why not?

Jason asks Valentin for a favor, telling him that it’s about Jake. He explains that Jake spent the better part of four years with Helena, and he’s trying to find out what she did to him.

Lulu sees Nelle at Kelly’s and introduces herself. Nelle asks if Lulu is going to tell her off. Lulu says what happened is none of her business, and it’s not her place to judge, but she’d like to talk about her daughter, Charlotte.

Alexis enters a dark house. Her phone rings, but when she answers, she gets a dial tone. It rings again, and she asks if it’s Julian. It’s Sam, who is wearing an awesome white swing top with thumbhole sleeves. Sam wonders why Alexis called her Julian, and Alexis says old habits die hard. Sam wants to come by, but Alexis says she’ll come over to Sam’s house.

Sonny tells Michael about the break up with Carly. He says she’s mad as hell and called it quits. Michael says sorry, and Sonny says he doesn’t seem like it. Michael says he’s not exactly in shock. Now that things have settled down, there are no distractions. Losing Morgan could have brought them together or torn them apart, and they decided on the latter. Sonny says he didn’t want this, but Michael says it’s happening.

Lulu asks if Nelle has a minute. Since they’ll be seeing one another, they might as well get to know each other. Nelle was picking up scones for Charlotte’s birthday breakfast, since they’re her favorite. She thinks they remind Charlotte of her mom.

Laura tells Doc about the upcoming trip. He says that he’s not sure what surprises him more, the trip itself or that she’s going with Tracy. He asks if Luke is in jail again, and Laura says that would be amusing if his ex-wives showed up to break him out, but he isn’t involved.

Franco tells Elizabeth that it makes perfect sense. Any two people can shack up, but if they make it official, he’s her husband and can be stepfather to her children. She asks if it’s about the two of them, or him and Jason.

Valentin tells Jason that Helena was a horrible person. He was sent to boarding school, so they didn’t cross paths much. Jason asks about the island, and if there are any scarecrows on it. Valentin gives him a strange, amused look.

Alexis comes to Sam’s bearing diapers and cookies. She’s doing her grandma thing. Sam says she got the feeling that Alexis was drinking when they last talked. Alexis admits to having a bit of a relapse, but went to a meeting, and was coming back from one when Sam called. A new sponsor might be a good idea. A real one this time. Sam says it’s understandable with all she’s been through. Alexis says ironically Julian was again the one who convinced her to stop.

Michael tells Sonny that he’s not taking sides. Sonny asks if he talked to Carly, but he says he doesn’t have to; he already knows what they do. They’re both strong people, and sometimes turn that strength on each other, and they’re taking out the pain they feel about Morgan on each other. Sonny asks if Michael knows how much he hates hurting the people he loves, including him.

Nelle corrects herself, saying surrogate mother, and apologizes to Lulu. Lulu says it’s not her fault. She says there are so many things she doesn’t know about her own daughter, seemingly insignificant things. She said she would know them had she been there at the beginning, but Valentin kept Charlotte from her all of her life.

Doc is surprised that Laura is traipsing across the world because Tracy asked her to. He wonders how it came about. Laura says they seem like an unlikely pair, but they do have a relationship. She says it was Tracy’s fur coat that she wore to flash Doc, and Doc says he’ll be forever grateful. Laura tells him that Tracy has a situation that may or may not have to do with her father. She thinks she should help, because if Tracy goes it alone, she might miss the chance to reconnect with him. And she’s a sucker for Turkish coffee. She says the best part will be the homecoming, and they kiss.

Franco tells Elizabeth that he’s not asking her to marry him because of Jason or Jake. He’d love to be a permanent fixture in Jake’s life, but he’s asking because he loves her. She can show the world that she trusts him and chooses him over all others. She says she’s told everyone that she trusts him, and she does choose him over everything, including Jason; but Jason is Jake’s father, and she has to consider his feelings. Franco says that Jason doesn’t even believe that Jake has a problem.

Valentin tells Jason that’s a weird question about the scarecrows. Jason says thanks for the help, because he’s an impatient jackass. Valentin says that he never intended to be a father, but Helena took that decision away from him. Now, he loves Charlotte and she’s his life. He says he understands, and if Jason wants to search the island, he’ll set it up. He tells Jason that he might want to start with the olive grove.

Elizabeth says that it’s about Jake after all; Franco thinks that Jason isn’t handling it well, and that’s why he wants to marry her. Franco says yes and no. His feelings for her are real; he loves her, and he loves Jake too. He wants to make sure that Jake gets what he needs. Elizabeth says that Jason is still Jake’s father, and she has to regard his wishes. She thinks that Franco should keep his distance from Jake for now.

Sam tells Alexis that dreams can seem very real. Alexis says that sounds rational, but talks about the knocking at the door, and how no one was there. Then the second time, it was Valentin.

Valentin tells Jason that there’s an old olive grove that was planted before Cassadine’s got there, and it had a scarecrow in it. Legend had it that the scarecrow came alive one night, and it might have made an impression on Jake. Jason appreciates the help, and Valentine keeps the offer open. Jason wonders if Valentine has an agenda in helping him, but Valentin says that no child should be subject to Helena. Jason says he’ll do whatever it takes to help Jake.

Nelle tells Lulu that she knows a little about Charlotte’s childhood, but had no idea what was happening. Yeah, I guess she had other things to concentrate on, like the blow out with Carly and Sonny. Lulu says she’s glad that Nelle is taking care of Charlotte. She tells Nelle that when she found out she had daughter, she blew it. She was so excited, she ended up scaring her away. She didn’t think it through, and acted in the moment, making a huge mistake. Nelle can relate to not being able to take something back.

Sonny watches Michael work in some kind of weird proud dad way. He doesn’t want to leave it like this. Maybe Nelle wasn’t the main reason for breakup, but she helped it along. When truth came out, he knows Michael was hurt. Michael says he was sympathetic to a point, but can’t get past what she did. Sonny asks if he’s sure, and if Nelle staying in Port Charles changes anything.

Lulu apologizes for keeping Nelle, and thanks her for listening. Nelle asks how Michael is doing, but Lulu says she hardly sees him. She tells Nelle that Dante said he’s keeping to himself, and throwing himself into work. She hates that he’s grieving Morgan all alone, and Nelle says that she does too. Nelle leaves Kelly’s, and Lulu looks pleased with herself.

Michael tells Sonny that Nelle got a job as Charlotte’s nanny. Sonny says that Nelle probably still has an agenda (WOTD), and asks how Michael might feel running into her. Michael says they’re not like Sonny and Carly. He tells Sonny not to project, and says he can handle it. If he makes a mistake, he has to live with the fallout, and Sonny should know.

Elizabeth tells Franco that right now, his presence is causing an issue with Jake’s father, and she doesn’t want any more disruptions in Jake’s life. Franco says he wants the crappy cards on Father’s Day and to teach Jake how to drive. Elizabeth needs him to give Jake space until they find out what the drawings mean. Then they’ll have him to thank for getting the ball rolling. Franco says okay, they’ll do things her way, but no matter what, he doesn’t want to lose her. She says he won’t, and they kiss.

Jason interrupts, and says when Elizabeth gets a chance, they need to talk about Jake. I like Jason, but I don’t like when he acts irrational. And I like Franco more.

Sam doesn’t know what’s worse, a visit from Valentin, or Julian’s ghost. Alexis thinks about it and says Valentin. He wanted to do the family bonding thing, and gave her the keys to Windemere. She says she kicked him out of the house. Geez, most people would have just said thanks. Sam suggests it might have triggered a response.  Alexis says she doesn’t need anyone to do that, and says she had a weird feeling about the hang-up call. Sam asks for her phone, telling Alexis that she has an app for that. She messes around with the phones, and a map indicates that the call came from a payphone at the gas station near the footbridge. Alexis says that’s where Julian died.

Alexis thinks that Ava might be right, and that Julian is alive. Sam says not necessarily. Alexis says she know she shouldn’t feel this way, but she wishes he was alive. Scout starts to cry, and Alexis wants to jet, but Sam is worried. Alexis says she’s not delusional, just tired, and wants to go back to bed.

Franco starts to leave, and Elizabeth follows him. She says it’s not the best timing, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t want to spend the rest of her life with him. She didn’t say yes, but didn’t say no either. He thanks her, and they kiss good-by. Elizabeth tells Jason that Franco agreed to step back. Jason thinks he found a lead about the scarecrow. Elizabeth says she has lead of her own, and thinks she knows who can help.

Laura runs into Lulu leaving Kelly’s. Lulu she invites Laura for dinner tomorrow, but Laura says she’s galivanting around the globe with Tracy. Hey, that reminds me. Whatever happened to that show, Galavant?

Sonny tells Michael that distractions don’t work. Michael says don’t worry, but Sonny says Michael is his son. Even if he doesn’t need protection, that doesn’t stop Sonny from wanting to protect him.

Nelle tells Valentin about buying the scones, and says that she ran into Lulu. He asks who approached who, and she says she was leaving Kelly’s, and literally almost ran into her. He asks if she introduced herself, and Nelle thought she was just being polite. Valentin asks her to tell him everything that Lulu said. Ooh, Nelle could be a counter-spy.

Sonny says he shouldn’t be lecturing anybody (truth!), and starts to leave. Michael says if he didn’t make it clear, he loves Sonny, and doesn’t blame him for what happened. He only blames Olivia-J. He says Nelle is screwed up; that doesn’t absolve her, but puts it in context. Sonny says Michael is wiser than he was at Michael’s age, and maybe wiser than he is now. Sonny leaves, and the cheese Michael stands alone.

Lulu thinks Laura and Tracy’s trip is crazy, but it makes sense, and the two of them will keep each other out of trouble. Laura feels badly about leaving right now, but Lulu says it’s okay. She tells Laura about talking to Nelle, and that she’d asked about Michael. She hasn’t learned anything useful, but laid the groundwork. Laura tells her to take it easy; it’s just the first step. Valentin is smart, and they have to be smarter.

Nelle thinks that Lulu just wanted to be familiar with her, and make sure she’s all right to be watching Charlotte. Valentin says thanks for telling him. He tells Nelle that he tried offering joint custody to Lulu, but she didn’t want it, and is suing him for full custody. He says that she isn’t to be trusted. He gives Nelle a new set of keys, saying he’d had the locks changed, since you can’t be too careful. She puts the key on the keyring that Michael gave her.

Michael flashes back to giving the keyring to Nelle. What a coincidence!

Franco gets a text from Jake, who can’t wait to do more drawing with him.

Doc tells Jason and Elizabeth that he has to refer them to someone else, because of the personal history. They need fresh eyes and objectivity. He recommends Andre, and offers to make the appointment. Jason says at least it’s some progress, and Elizabeth is glad he was able to put aside their differences. They agree that Jake comes first.

Sam calls the gas station and asks if they have surveillance cameras.

Alexis gets on the couch with the AA big book. She looks at her phone on the table. She hears something and says it’s just the wind, but it doesn’t really sound like the wind.

On Monday, Josslyn asks Carly when she and Sonny are divorcing, Ned says he’s stopping Larry’s plans, and Jax arrives.

Flowers in My Attic

Let’s talk about V.C. Andrews. I don’t know how it happened, but I ended up spending a Saturday watching Lifetime’s version of Flowers in the Attic, and then every single subsequent film in the series. I’m not sure what came over me, but I fell under the Dollanganger family’s spell.

The books of V.C. Andrews were required reading for the young adults of my generation. I’m not sure why. They’re poorly written, and the stories revolve around – let’s just say it – incest. But for some reason, Andrews spoke to us. Apparently, even after death, as she died in 1986, yet her books continue to be churned out written. Highly doubtful that it’s difficult, but amazing that no one seems to care.

The cinema adaptation of Flowers in the Attic wasn’t awful, but it wasn’t entirely faithful to the book either, and I don’t think fans were entirely satisfied. Then, decades later, Lifetime made another stab at it. While their film was roundly criticized by reviewers, they did something right, because the franchise continued on, including My Sweet Audrina.

For those who live on another planet and aren’t familiar with the series, it revolves around siblings Cathy, Chris, Carrie, and Cory, forced to live in the attic of a Victorian mansion for years, so that their mother could get back into her own father’s good graces and inherit a bundle. She’d been shunned by the family for falling in love with her father’s half-brother, starting the chain of the wrong kind of familial love. When he suddenly dies in an accident, she’s forced to go back to the family mansion. After being trapped together through puberty, Chris and Cathy also fall in love, continuing the pattern. They also find out their mother has been lying to them.

Although I usually find Lifetime movies a let-down – their ideas are always promising, but the endings often fall flat – they got this one right. Despite being panned by critics, it was as though these God-awful books came to life. They nearly followed them word for word. The dialogue is not how anyone in their right mind would talk, unless they stepped out of 1900, and Chris and Cathy have absolutely no knowledge of how life works, even though they’ve gone to normal school up until they’re thirty teenagers. (Wouldn’t they even have thought they’re weird?) Ellen Burnstyn must have had a blast playing the grandmother, which she does with gusto, and Heather Graham is spot on as Corrine. Unfortunately, we lost Sally Draper Kiernan Shipka by the second film, but Rachael Carpani makes a lovely Cathy. I honestly think the reviewers thought the actors wrote this themselves; they did the best they could with the bizarre material. I mean, come on, the evil guy’s name is even Bart.

As with most binge watching, a sadness came over me as the final credits rolled. So bad, they’re good, it was a fun trip down Memory Lane. If you’ve never taken a dip into the strange pond of Andrews’s work, check them out next time around. Fans of the book series will not be disappointed.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Jason talks to Spinelli on the phone, saying he can’t find Sam. He asks Spinelli to hack into the highway cameras. He continues calling for Sam, but she can’t reply loud enough for him to hear her.

Julian tells Olivia-J that Sam is pregnant and fell off a bridge. Olivia says she can’t help it if Sam was so stupid to get in her way.

Finn looks at the pharm guy’s card. He asks if a vote has been made, and Monica says they’re waiting. In the boardroom, Obrecht is glad she could put an end to it. Michael tells Tracy that’s how it works; sometimes the vote goes against you.

Nelle calls Michael and leaves a message. She says she’s at work, and everything she needed to do is done. She’ll see him later.

Not so fast. She opens the door, and Bobbie is standing there.

Carly puts the flash drive into Nelle’s laptop. She hears Sonny say that under no circumstances should Carly know that he and Nelle had sex. Her phone rings. It’s Sonny, but she doesn’t pick up.

At the hospital, Sonny wonders why Carly isn’t answering. At Nelle’s apartment, Carly hears Sonny saying it’s his fault and he takes full responsibility.

Tracy tells Michael that her father didn’t have time for failures. She asks how much Obrecht got for her vote. Obrecht says her conduct is above reproach. She says if the Quartermaines are determined to own a hospital, why don’t they buy one? Tracy says that General Hospital is the best there is, and it’s not going down on her watch. She walks out, but they need her to certify the vote.

Tracy tells Hayden that they lost. Monica says GH is gone. Michael sees Sonny, and tells him they’ve voted to sell the hospital for real estate. Sonny asks if he needs money, but Michael says in the end, it was more about politics. Michael sees the call from Nelle, and tells Sonny that he has plans with her and has to go.

Nelle tells Bobbie that Carly has the day off, and Bobbie says she knows. Bobbie gets snarky, and Nelle asks if anything is wrong. Bobbie says things are finally right again. Nelle might as well pack her bags; her game is over.

Carly plays the file again, and hears Nelle says that maybe they should tell the truth. Carly thinks back over the past few months. She closes the laptop and cries.

Sam can hear Jason, but he can’t hear her. He tells Spinelli he needs some help. Sam says don’t go. Jason tells Spinelli to call him back. He says he could use a sign right now, and looks everywhere except where Sam is, and she passes out.  The full moon comes out from behind the clouds, and he finally sees her.

Olivia-J tells Julian that she did nothing wrong, and would never intentionally harm a child. She says she never gets any sympathy from him, even though he tried to kill her. Julian says he’s been running around in circles, doing her bidding for months. She says that’s only because she blackmailed him. He never made amends to her, and he hasn’t changed. He’s selfish and self-absorbed, the way he was when he shot her in the back years ago. She, however, is a new woman. She has grown, and isn’t a pushover anymore. It’s time he learned that. I don’t think I would have ever called Olivia a pushover.

Jason calls for an ambulance, and slides down to Sam. She tells him about Olivia-J and seeing the keyring in the car, and he says he knows. She says the contractions are coming too fast.

Hayden tells Finn that Laura wasn’t there, and Tracy says as long as there’s a majority vote, it’s legal. Monica says Obrecht broke the tie, and she cut off her nose to spite her face. Finn asks for fifteen minutes, telling them to stall.

Sonny says he thought Michael and Nelle were just friends. Michael says things changed last night, and tells Sonny about getting stuck in the cabin. Sonny wonders if Nelle asked for a ride there, and Michael says he’s the one who offered. Tracy interrupts, telling Michael she needs him. Sonny stomps to the elevator.

Nelle says she doesn’t know what Bobbie is talking about, and can’t catch a break with her. She says except for the one time they argued, she’s only been respectful and accommodating. Bobbie obviously dislikes her, but they should move on for Michael’s sake; he doesn’t share her opinion. Bobbie says that’s because he doesn’t know the truth. She tells Nelle that she destroys anyone who targets her family.

Carly wanders around Nelle’s apartment, and flashes back to various interactions with Nelle and Bobbie. She thinks about Nelle talking about her secret boyfriend. Come on, Carly, you’re smarter than this. She talks to herself, saying Nelle doesn’t know anything about payback, but she will.

Olivia-J tells Julian that she’s tired of him arguing with her. She could have killed him months ago, but didn’t. He says she tried, but she says she wasn’t successful and apologized. She wishes she could believe him, but when she looks at him, she sees such little growth. She says he murdered Duke, and would test the patience of Buddha. She thinks it might be doing him a favor to kill him, so he could start over. She doesn’t think he can be saved in this incarnation.

Sam tells Jason the baby is coming, and he says they can do this. She tells him that she’s scared there’s something wrong. He tells her to breathe.

Nelle says Bobbie doesn’t think she’s good enough for Michael. Bobbie says that’s an understatement, but he’ll find out who she really is, and that she messed with his family. Nelle says she caught on to Felicia. She didn’t tell Carly the whole truth because it’s not a happy story. She says she truly cares for them, and wants what’s best. Bobbie asks how was it best when she slept with Carly’s husband?

Carly says this can’t be happening, and flashes back to what Bobbie told her, and some questionable moments with Sonny when they talked about Nelle. She opens the door to Sonny standing there.

Nelle asks what Bobbie is talking about, and Bobbie says Nelle and Sonny making fun of her daughter. She tells Nelle to sit down and shut up. She calls Nelle a conniving little tramp who took advantage of Carly’s generosity. What’s really vile, is how she used Morgan’s death to worm her way into Sonny’s bed. Nelle says she doesn’t understand. Bobbie says she knows what she needs to know, and so does Carly.

Sonny asks why Carly is at Nelle’s apartment. Carly says Nelle is her assistant; why is he there? He says he was trying to call, and she didn’t pick up. She says why not talk here.

Jason tries to keep Sam calm, but she still thinks something is wrong. She makes him promise that he’ll take the baby home. Port Charles has the Slowest. Ambulance. Ever.

Tracy comes back to the meeting with Monica and Hayden. Obrect objects to them being there, and Gray says, let’s just get going. Tracy says there are some objections to Hayden’s report. Michael says his people told him that she’s been presenting the worst possible scenario to the board, suggesting the worst possible outcome. Tracy says she can’t certify the vote based on faulty projections. Gray doesn’t think they need to, but Tracy wants to hear what the other analysts had to say.

Finn calls the pharm guy. He asks if the offer is still on the table. I’m not quite sure if the Obrecht is going to change her vote unless something is specifically in it for her.

Michael says research can lead to patents and new treatments, as well as better medical care. He tells them about Finn’s discovery, and sys GH is known for their research. Obrecht interrupts, but Michael says he has the numbers. Gray wants to certify selling, but Finn pops in, saying they don’t have to. They need cash to put GH in the black and keep it there. If a donor stepped forward, they could call for another vote. Obrecht says no such angel exists, but Finn says it does; it’s him. He explains about selling the patent, and says they can have all the money.

Nelle asks if Bobbie told Carly. Bobbie says she did, and Nelle says she has no idea what she’s done. Bobbie says that she opened Carly’s eyes to the truth. She says Carly and Sonny lost their son, and were grieving and fighting to survive. Nelle blew them apart and their whole family. She asks if Nelle stopped to think of the others. Nelle says this wasn’t the way it was supposed to be. Bobbie says no one wants to know her, Michael least of all, but Nelle is gone.

Carly tells Sonny that the wedding vows caught her off guard, but he insisted, and she’s been thinking about it ever since.

Jason tells Sam one big push and they can take the baby home. Sam says it hurts. He tells her he loves her and she can do this. He says she’s his phoenix. They’re going to rise one more time together.

Tracy says they should scrap the previous vote. Gray protests, and Obrecht says how do they know Finn is telling the truth. He shows them a fax from the pharm guy. Tracy asks all in favor of voiding the vote, and everyone except Gray and Obrecht raise their hands. Michael votes to accept the Finn’s gift, and everyone agrees except Gray. Tracy says they won and GH stays open. Gray steps away from the table. Finn watches him.

Scout is here! Jason holds her. Sam asks if she’s okay, and why isn’t she crying?

Olivia-J tells Julian that their dad said he was a disappointment. When he left the witness protection program, he had the opportunity to live up to the Jerome name, but blew it, and she’s glad their father didn’t live to see it. Julian says she’ll have her victory, and he’ll be out of her life. Gray texts Julian, saying the deal fell through. Olivia says the Quartermaines saved the hospital and Julian failed her.

Sam asks what’s happening. Jason gives the baby CPR, and says she’s not breathing. Sam begs Jason to save her.

Carly tells Sonny that she wants to come up with something special, since they’ll be getting married for the sixth time. She’s come up with draft, and would like his input.

Bobbie calls Carly and leaves a message about what happened. She says she confronted Nelle. She’s sorry, but it just came out. She says if Nelle has half a brain, she’s out of town. Bobbie thinks they’ve heard the last of her.

Nelle runs into Michael at the hospital. He says he has good news for once.

Carly asks why Sonny is nervous, and he says he feels like it’s an invasion of privacy. Carly says he wouldn’t cross a boundary not to offend Nelle, but offended Carly by screwing her. D’oh! I would have done a spit-take if something had been in my mouth.

Scout finally breathes, and Sam has passed out. Jason tells her to wake up, but it’s not happening.

Tomorrow, Nelle tells Michael everything, Carly confronts Sonny, and Olivia-J tells Julian that it’s strike three for him.

The Haves and the Have Nots

I love this show. Tyler Perry is brilliant – and the hardest working man in show business. HAHN isn’t exactly intellectually stimulating, but it’s extremely entertaining and he definitely slips in lessons to be learned.

We revisit the tableau at Wyatt’s apartment. Jeffrey moves, and the officer shoots. Justin runs to Jeffrey. He tells the officer that they were just playing around, and says get out of here, rookie. Rookie leaves. Miraculously missed by the bullet, Jeffrey tells Justin to leave him alone and get out. Justin leaves. I gotta say, I’m starting to like Justin, and I’m feeling badly about this.

Wyatt asks who that was, and Jeffrey says a friend. Wyatt tells Jeffrey he needs to stay away from that guy. He looks out the window, and says Justin isn’t leaving. Jeffrey says he will, and he has to go. Wyatt doesn’t want him to leave, or at least wait until Justin is gone. Jeffrey repeats for Wyatt to call the number he gave to him, and leaves. Wow. Two seconds out of the hospital, and Wyatt is a mess again.

Candance kisses a sleeping Quincy Jr., and sneaks out of the hotel room.

David walks Erica back to her room. She says good-night, and he’s like, really. He says he won’t judge her, and they kiss. She says that’s huge (no, not that, she means sleeping together), and he begs a little.

Oscar sees Candace in the hotel lobby, and tries to get her to work with him. She tells him to back off. She calls Erica, who is now making out with David on her bed. Candace says she knocked on the door, and asks if David is there. Erica pretends Candace is someone else, who’s asking about borrowing clothes. Candace asks if it’s going to be an all-nighter, and tells Candace to put what she needs in the hallway.

Erica leaves the bed to get the stuff together for Candace, and David makes himself comfortable. When she comes back, they get busy. David’s phone rings. It’s Jim. He wants the number of the guy who got his money back after Candace blackmailed him. David tells Jim that he’s with a female friend. Jim tells him to text the number now, before he gets busier.

Kathryn comes downstairs, and asks what Jim is still doing there. He says it is his house. She asks if he has a whore to screw, and he says he’s not interested in the one closest to him. Oooh. That’s beyond snap. She says someone thinks so, and goes back upstairs, bringing some wine with her. There’s a masseuse in her room, and Jim says he’s not interested in her. She says he’s paid to do a job, and she’s getting a massage. Jim asks why she’s trying to seduce him. Kathryn says she’s not; he wants her. She asks the masseuse if he’s ever had a sugar mama and if he wants one. The kid says no to both, and Jim thinks he should leave. He changes that to get the hell out and he’s gone.

Jim asks Kathryn if she’s lost her mind. He tells her that seducing a child isn’t the way to get him to leave. She says she really was just getting a massage, but she wanted to bug him. Regardless, she could get a man if she wanted to. Jim asks what if he goes to the press, and Kathryn says she doesn’t give a damn. She asks if Jim has looked for Wyatt, and he says he has. She says she can’t lose him, and Jim says they won’t. He’s going to find Wyatt and get the money back. Kathryn says he can get out after that, and Jim says she should get out. She says maybe she will.

Jim calls Oscar. David has already given him a heads up. Jim explains that he needs to find his son. He also needs to get back his son’s inheritance. He tells Oscar that he has no idea where Wyatt is, and Oscar says he’ll get right on it. He wants ten percent, but Jim offers him five. Oscar says he can find someone cheaper then, so Jim agrees to ten.

Candace talks to bartender Rocky, and orders a martini. She asks if he’s running the boys, and he says not as well as she is. She orders two martinis. She sees Charles sitting at a table for two, and walks over to him. He tells her to leave him alone please. She asks Rocky to give her a glass of whatever he’s drinking, and she brings it over to him. She pretends to be working there, and then sits down. He says that he doesn’t need anything else, and she says she’s not a waiter; he didn’t even look at her. She asks if it’s been a long day, and he says it has. She introduces herself, and then pretends to suddenly recognize him. He asks to keep it low key. Rocky brings over the martinis.

Charles asks what she does, and she says that’s personal. He says he’s about to be President of the United States, and she says, don’t sound so happy. He says he’s just getting used to losing everything normal. He asks if she’s a reporter, and she tells him no. He requests that she take the battery out of her phone. He says as president, he won’t be allowed a smart phone. She gives Rocky her purse, and tells Charles to relax; she’s not wearing a wire, and there are no cameras pointed toward them. He says he has his reasons for noticing that, but what are hers? She says she’s observant, and he says, or in a business where she has to look out for that. She asks what he’s saying, and he asks if she’s a working girl. She tells him to have a good night, and goes to the bar.

Oscar asks if he can buy her a drink, and she says no. She tells him to get lost. Oscar says he’ll cover her tab, and she says she’s not interested. He says she got Charles’s attention, and if she doesn’t want people to think she’s a whore, maybe she shouldn’t dress like one. He gives her the key to a room that adjoins Charles’s room. Charles is leaving in three days. Oscar tells her to make Charles think she’s not a whore, and propositions her. She slaps him, and Rocky tells him to get out. She tells Rocky to bill everything to her room. She leaves, and Charles follows. He gets in the elevator with her. Isn’t he going to think something’s up if her room is next to his?

He asks if she’s okay, and she says that she’s fine. She says the future president thinks she’s a whore, and so does the guy at the bar. He says he’s sorry, and addresses her by name. She tells him that remembering her name is a nice thing to do. She gets out, and he says it’s his floor too.

As they walk down the hall, Charles asks what happened, and Candace says he doesn’t want to hear. He says give him something other than a political speech, and she says it’s the whiskey talking. He tells her that he’s a Tennessee boy. She gets to her room, and he says no way. She says she doesn’t believe in coincidences, and tells him good-night. He is super cute. I think she’s going to fall for him.

Inside her room, Candace looks around for any recording devices. Beautiful room, but one cheap phone. I can tell by the weight when she picks it up. She pulls something out from a couple of vases and under the desk. There’s an open laptop and some books and papers all over the bed. Oscar calls and asks her why she would do that. She says she’s not working with him. He says Charles is worth millions, and tells her to just get him on tape. He tells her all the stuff is hers from law school, and she’s cramming for exams. He instructs her to say good-by to him loudly. She yells, don’t call again, and hangs up.

The phone rings, and Candace is like, what?! and it’s Charles. He says he wants to apologize, and she tells him to open the door. How come there’s no secret service around or whatever? Is this like The Prince and the Pauper? She tells him that she’s broke. The only reason she’s there is that it’s her anniversary. She wanted to surprise her boyfriend, and found him with somebody else. She says she also comes from a rough neighborhood, and she’s not good for his image. She thanks him for being nice, and he asks her to have a minibar drink with him. She asks if he’s trying to take advantage of her, and he says he just wants a drink. She says it will have to be his minibar, but the door stays open.

In Veronica’s driveway, Justin apologizes, and begs Jeffrey to listen. Jeffrey says Justin could have gotten him killed. Justin says he’s never done anything like this before. He’s never been in this situation; he’s doing things for Jeffrey that he’d never do. Jeffrey is like, please don’t say you’re in love. Justin says he isn’t, but he likes Jeffrey a lot, and doesn’t want to lose him. Jeffrey says he doesn’t belong to Justin, and Wyatt was just a straight friend. They’ve been friends since they were kids, and he has a drug problem. Veronica sees them from the window. Justin asks Jeffrey to forgive him. Jeffrey hears the door open, and says he does.

Veronica asks what Justin wants. Justin says that Jeffrey made an illegal left U-turn. Jeffrey talks about forgiveness, and says they were forgiving each other, because Justin was a bit aggressive. Jeffrey asks if Melissa is inside, like he’s going to fool Veronica, and Veronica tells him to join her. She wants to talk to the officer.

When Jeffrey is gone, she asks Justin what’s going on, and if she has to call the Chief of Police. Justin says he told her, but she says there are no left turns to get to the house. He says maybe he was mistaken and it was right. She asks how long this has been going on, and Justin says he and Jeffrey just met. She asks if he knows who she is, and he says she’s Jeffrey’s mom. He tells her that she should just be happy he let Jeffrey off with a warning, and Veronica says she has her own warning for him. She tells him to stay away from her son. She knows his type; she’s had them on the stand many times. She asks if Justin understands. He says he does and leaves.

Inside the house, Veronica asks why Jeffrey was being protective of Justin. She says he has the same look in his eye he has for Wyatt. He’s supposed to be there with Melissa, and he’s running around with that. She says she smells Justin on him, and tells him to be a man. He has a sexy-ass woman waiting for him, and he’s acting stupid. Jeffrey just stands there, and she tells him to go upstairs to Melissa. She asks if Jeffrey wants to stab her again, and when he says nothing, tells him to go.

Wyatt calls Jeffrey, but gets voicemail. He flashes back to Jeffrey telling him to call the number. He calls, and a woman asks what’s going on. He says he’s sick, and she asks if he’s trying to detox. She says there’s a doctor who can see him at home, and he gives her the address. She says they’re on the way.

Kathryn calls Hannah. She asks if Hannah sold the car. Hannah says no, and Kathryn is glad. She tells Hannah the police were just there, and Candace is wanted for questioning in Quincy’s murder. She asks if Hannah wants to know how she got the money from Jim. She sends Hannah a photo. Hannah is like, OMG! and Kathryn says she should have warned her. She kept one of the DA’s photos and Jim doesn’t know. She tells Hannah that she’s sorry. Hannah says she’s trying to figure out how to save Candace’s life. She asks if she can call Kathryn tomorrow.

Hannah goes to the police station. She tells the desk sergeant that they’re looking for her daughter and she knows where she is. Her daughter is Candace Young.

Next time, Candace promises not to tell anyone about Charles, Oscar thinks they can set up a scheme, and Justin talks to Hannah about Candace. I don’t know why I thought this was the finale. There are two more shows left. I would say I needed a TV vacation, but I might end up like Wyatt.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Kyle works with an organizer to get the garage together. Mauricio would rather she threw everything out, but she says there’s a lot of memorabilia in there, and wonders if she’s a hoarder. She talks on the phone with LisaV, and tells her that Carnie Wilson is presenting a tasting from her baked goods company at Kyle’s house, and she’s invited the women. Lisa is afraid of seeing the other Lisa, and Kyle says she has more of a beef with her than this Lisa does.

Eileen talks to Vince about Erika being on The Young and the Restless. She never knew Erika was going to be as excited as she is. Why not? It’s a pretty big deal. Erika is coming by to rehearse. In her interview, Eileen explains the process of putting a character into a soap. She asks Erika how the Project Angel Food gig went. In her interview, Erika says you probably don’t want her making any food for you because you’ll die. Eileen goes through the lines with her. Erika says it’s very different than doing her own show, where everything is focused on her. With this, she actually has to listen. Vince and Eileen agree she’s a natural.

LisaR – the other white Lisa – talks to Harry about going to Kyle’s house. She tells him that Kim is going to be there. Lisa was pretty fired up when she met with Eden, but doesn’t think Eden would lie. Harry says he can understand how her buttons were pushed if Kim was mean to her. She says she was spouting her feelings, and she connected with Eden. She’s sure that Kim must know about it by now Harry says she’s just tried to help Kim, but Lisa thinks everyone looks at it as just the opposite. Harry thinks that’s absurd, and that she has empathy. In her interview, Lisa says she’s going to have to own it; she did say those things. She tells Harry that if she gets stoned to death, he knows where her diamonds are.

LisaV and Ken go to the new space for their dog rescue center. She wants it to be a lifestyle shop with everything doggy, and potential pet parents will be able to play with the shelter dogs during the day. Lisa talks with the agent about Yulan festival and how they’re trying to change it. She wants Congress to speak out against it to China. It’s difficult for me to even hear about, and I applaud Lisa for her work. She says she doesn’t want to turn into a crazy person, but Ken says she is already. Ken gets emotional about a video he saw, and he’s going to make me cry in about one second. Lisa wouldn’t look, and I can’t either. I’ve actually signed online petitions without looking.

Carnie Wilson arrives at Kyle’s. She’s brought four flavors of cheesecake. Oooh, they’re teeny tiny. A beautiful table is set outside, and Kyle’s Golden Retriever lounges in the pool with his tennis ball. Carnie talks about her own sobriety.

Erika picks up LisaR, who’s bearing a baby gift for Kim’s new grandchild. Kim arrives at Kyle’s bearing her sponsor, Claire. LisaR talks to Erika in the limo about meeting with Eden, and says she thinks she did say everything. In her interview, Erika says she hates hearing this, and Kim is going to kill Lisa. She tells Lisa that she’s going to get it.

Mmmm… Tiny food is being passed around. Tiny crab cakes and little garnishes with caviar on tiny bread. Eileen asks Kyle if she invited Eden, and Kyle says she did. Kyle asks Eileen if she thought Kim hasn’t seemed sober, and Eileen says she hasn’t exhibited that behavior for some time. She says it’s weird and illogical though, because she can’t imagine LisaR saying those things.

Carnie talks to Kim about her impending grandchild. Dorit shows a video of her baby going after a pair of designer boots – fashionista in training. Eden arrives, and Kim says Eden makes her skin crawl. She talks to Carnie about removing all the negative, and tells her about Eden repeating LisaR’s lies. Carnie says we’ll always have to deal with idiots. No wiser words have been spoken.

Little cheeses! LisaV’s big earrings! We can see Kim stiffen the second LisaR comes to the table. Lisa presents her with the baby gift. Erika gives a blow-by-blow to LisaV and Dorit, who are inside at the bar. In her interview, Kim can’t believe that after everything LisaR said about her, she’s handing her a bunny. She says she can’t even look at Eden, and people in recovery support each other, not beat each other down.

Camille arrives. LisaR takes Eileen aside. She tells Eileen about how she talked to Erika, and came to a conclusion. Since coming to a conclusion takes more than one thought, I know this had to have been difficult. She talked to Harry, and they discussed the people close to them dying, and she realized she said it. Eileen is surprised and disappointed. Lisa says she meant well. Eileen says she knows that, and loves her. Eileen thinks Lisa’s good parts are better than her bad, and there’s something to be said for her owning everything.

Everyone gathers around several different tiny desserts, and Carnie talks about her dessert company. She wants people to be able to have a little bite rather than shunning dessert altogether. Man, this stuff looks good. I have a confession to make. Ever since they brought out those tiny crab cakes, I’ve been eating tiny chocolate chip cookies. I think I’ll put them away now.

Kyle goes inside and LisaR starts to tell her about her epiphany, when Carnie comes by to round them up. Lisa says she feels like a dead man walking.

Everyone is enjoying the desserts, when LisaR announces she wants to say something to Kim. Seriously. Everyone gets quiet. She says Kim has probably heard some things. (I’ve heard things…) She admits to saying some bad things to Eden, in the heat of the moment after game night. After talking to Erika and Harry, she wants to admit to saying them. In her interview, Kyle says Lisa flat out lied. Kim tells Lisa that she’s always saying things, and then it’s, oh, I’m sorry. She says what Lisa said was uncalled for. Lisa tries to drag Eden in, drawing comparisons. She says Kim was provoking her, and Dorit asks what she did, saying that she doesn’t remember Kim doing anything to warrant what Lisa said. Kim says Lisa doesn’t think of the consequences involving other people, like her children. She introduces her sponsor. LisaR says she’s only wanted to move forward with Kim, and LisaV points out that she was questioning Kim’s sobriety. In her interview, LisaR says LisaV is enjoying this. LisaR says a sober person doesn’t act like that, and Kim wonders who Lisa is to judge what a sober person is like. That was a really stupid statement to make. Kim calls out Eden for saying anything in the first place. LisaV tries to interject that LisaR bears more of the burden, and Kyle tells her to pick a lane.

LisaR asks Claire if there’s a chance to heal. Claire thinks it’s possible if everyone gets to a place where they can let go. Kyle is like, just don’t make up stories. She asks Eden how she would feel if Kyle questioned her sobriety behind her back. Eden says judge her all she wants. Kim basically says it was none of her business. We flash back to the game night argument between Kim and LisaR.

In her interview, Eden says as a recovering alcoholic it would be remiss of her not to listen to what LisaR had to say, and act on it. Kim says Eden isn’t them, and Eden tells her to have some compassion for someone who lost their sister. Kyle says it has nothing to do with compassion; it’s about comparing the situations. Kyle tells Eden that she knows it was horrific, but she can’t compare her situation with theirs. Everyone keeps talking at once, and it’s hard to separate everything. LisaR says it’s not what Kim is saying, but how she’s saying it. I think a HUGE part of LisaR’s problem is that she over-dramatizes everything. I’ll bet going to the bathroom is a big production in the LisaR household.

Carnie says when she makes a mistake she makes amends and owns it, but that everyone has their own pace. If she can’t move on and hangs on to things, she’s drunk. LisaR brings up Kim talking about Harry. Kim says she never said anything about him, and Kyle says she did imply it. LisaR says he might not show it, but it did hurt Harry. People come up to him on the street and ask #WhatDidHarryDo? I can’t help feeling that Harry would think the whole thing was stupid funny. Kim says she’s told Lisa that she’s sorry a million times. In her interview, Erika says LisaR is like a cat with nine lives, but she’s not sure how many she has left.

Carnie says some things are hard to break through, but that’s where compassion comes in. She says they drank for reasons; they are a little looney, but there’s no perfect. Kim says she doesn’t want her world out there again when she’s worked so hard. She’s going to stand up for herself, because she has had times she thought she was going to die. LisaR says she’s sorry she hurt Kim. Eden says she didn’t want to hurt Kim either. Eileen asks Kim what they can do to move on. LisaR says every ounce of her being wants to move on, being all dramatic again. In her interview, LisaV says you have to prove what you say by your actions, wondering if LisaR really does want to move on. Thank you. Some people think “I’m sorry” means they can keep doing it. Carnie says look at what these cheesecakes can do. The girls have some healing cheesecake and move on. Maybe.

Next time, Dorit has a wonderful new hairstyle, a Hong Kong trip is on the horizon, and Erika gets emotional with her mother.

💣 Love Imposters more every week!

💁 Thanks, Lifetime, for bringing Little Women: LA back on Tuesdays, when I already have a hard enough time juggling my TV shows. Here was the gist of it:

Terra is in the top five on Dancing with the Stars. Joe is on tour, and Terra’s health isn’t too great; she’s suffering from two hernias, on top of the breast issue she had last season. Elena comes to the DWTS studio to confront her, because she’s not answering her texts, and Terra ends up telling her to get out. Christy thinks Todd is eating himself to death, and wants him to either go to rehab or go back to Ohio, which I guess is the only other alternative. She’s also still desperate for Briana’s friendship. Tonya was diagnosed with Bell’s palsy, which is a virus that attacks the nerves. It’s triggered through stress. Great. One more thing to stress about. The girls threw Jasmine a baby shower, and she seemed genuinely surprised, but I’ve always wondered about the wisdom in surprising a pregnant woman. We also found out that the baby is a boy. 👶

November 16, 2016 – Lucy & Scotty Team Up, Little LA Wraps It Up & a Roanoke Mention

Standard

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Finn ponders Hayden sleeping. She wakes a little, and asks what he’s done to her.

Elizabeth tries to call Franco.

Does Franco have a man bun? Please, no. The phone rings but he doesn’t answer. He tells Tom he’s there about Elizabeth, the girl Tom raped. He flings himself on Tom and pummels him.

Jax and Alexis go to lunch at some out-of-the-way dive. She says no one they know will see them there, and he asks if she’s ready for the drink he promised. I’ll bet she is.

Ava sees Scotty at The Floating Rib. He says Lucy wants to be wined and dined, and they’re meeting for dinner there. He tries to get Ava to leave so Lucy won’t be suspicious, but she’s meeting Kiki. Too late anyway; Lucy walks in.

Michael asks Nell to distract him. Give him something else to think about. Well…

Carly visits Sonny in the clink.

Scotty suggests he and Lucy go to her apartment. She says it’s not a booty call. Wine and dine her, and maybe they’ll discuss it. He says he doesn’t want Ava to make her lose her appetite. Kiki comes in and Lucy says just ignore them. She suggests they start with champagne.

Alexis downs half of her drink before Jax can even make a toast. He asks about her having a hard time right now, and she says it’s definitely up there as far as anxiety goes. She blames herself for Julian not going to prison, and says she’s the reason everything got out of control. Jax tells her that sometimes the choices they make out of love come back to haunt them for the rest of their days. She asks him what’s up with that, and he says he can’t tell anyone else. He did something in secret years ago that could ruin Carly’s life.

Sonny is surprised that Carly came to see him, and Carly says she is too. She read his letter about how he divided all of his assets. He says he owed it to Morgan. She asks if he still feels that way, and says Jason filled her in. She asks if that changes anything.

Despite what we all had in mind, Nell suggests backgammon, but Michael is thinking chess. Nell says he’ll slaughter her because he’s a strategy king. He says she’s quitting before they start, and she tells him to bring out the chessboard.

Hayden is confused, and Finn tells her she went into septic shock. He tells her that she’s at the Quartermaines’. There was a problem at the hospital, and Tracy stepped in. Hayden asks what’s going to happen to her.

Elizabeth leaves a message for Franco, telling him not to hurt Tom. If he does, he goes to prison. She says she’s coming there to get him, even though she never wants to lay eyes on Tom again.

Franco tosses Tom around like a football. Tom says he wasn’t in prison for rape. Franco says he did his homework and knows everything about Tom. He says there’s no record of him harming Elizabeth, but he knows Tom raped her, and it’s time for him to pay for his crime.

Finn tells Hayden that it’s too soon to make a diagnosis. She asks if she’s going to have what he has, but he doesn’t know yet. She says if this is how he feels all the time, she doesn’t know how he does it. He says that’s why the medication is important, and she needs to rest. She asks what happened at the hospital. He says there was an altercation and he quit. She asks how he’s going to treat her.

Elizabeth gets a call from Finn. She tells him she’s in the middle of a personal emergency, but he says he has his own going on. He’s out of antibiotics. He asks her to help save her sister’s life.

Tom says his brother is coming home soon, and Franco will be arrested. Franco says they’re two people who happen to be sociopaths. He introduces himself, and Tom says they talk about him beating the system in prison. Franco says it seems like there’s always going to be a part of him that’s a sadistic freak. Tom says Franco can change. He did.

Carly wants to know why Morgan was manic. She tells Sonny that Morgan’s journal proves that he was vigilant in taking his medication. It’s obvious the pills weren’t working. Sonny says he’s looking for other answers. Like who killed Morgan.

Ava asks Kiki if she wants to go somewhere else instead of where she works. She says it‘s fine. She tells Ava that it’s not just about feeling guilty, she misses Morgan, the way he listened and made her laugh. She asks if Ava heard about how they filled Morgan’s coffin with things he loved because there was no body. Ava says she was there.

Scotty suggests he and Lucy get some food to go. She says it sounds yummy, but she knows what he’s doing. She has something he wants, and he says yeah, a hot body. She says it’s something else, and he says he’d like her heart too. She says what he wants is what she has right there, and shows him the pill bottle. It’s a brilliant idea to be holding that up in a public place. Maybe she should talk louder too.

Tom insists to Franco that he’s been rehabilitated. He grew and changed, and is a counselor now. He says he wants to be an asset to society instead of a drain. He swears he could never force himself on a woman again. Franco says he doesn’t care.

Hayden asks if she has the same thing that’s killing Finn. He says they have to do more tests, but you don’t go into septic shock unless there’s a massive infection. He’s going to do everything he can for her. She says there’s no cure, and that means she’s dying. She says she’s sure that makes him happy. I have no clue why she would say that, or why Finn doesn’t respond to her saying that.

Jax tells Alexis that when Josslyn needed a kidney donor, he would have done anything. He talks about how Carly thought the donor was Jake, but found out otherwise, and then searched for the real donor. He says at the time, he’d put out feelers everywhere, and Alexis asks him if the black market was involved. He says he would have done anything regardless of the consequences.

Nell is beating Michael at chess, and she says they could switch to poker, but she supposes he’s a master at that too. He talks about Sonny having owned a casino and how Jax is a poker wiz. Nell thinks he must be letting her win.

Lucy says Ava wants Scotty to romance her so everyone won’t find out what she did. She asks if he thinks she’s dense. She tells him to man up and own it.

Kiki reminds Ava that she’d said she wasn’t going to the funeral. Ava says she needed closure too, and she snuck in as everyone else was leaving. Kiki says she missed Sonny’s confession.

Carly asks what Sonny is going to do. He says for one thing, not go to prison. Carly says she was against that anyway, since his kids need him; it would have been a waste. She asks if he’s going to retaliate when Jason finds out who’s responsible. Sonny says she’s asking him to move steps ahead from where he is. He says everything happened so quickly, he hasn’t been able to process anything yet. He knows the answer she wants, but he can’t say it. She says that’s her answer.

Jax tells Alexis about Nell showing up, and how she told Carly the story about her parents selling one of her kidneys. Alexis asks if Carly knows about his involvement, but he’s not sure.

Nell says Michael is genuinely kind, which she finds a rare quality. He says ditto, and talks about everything she’s done for his family. She says that’s different. When she showed up, she needed answers. Carly gave them to her and then offered her a job. She says there’s nothing kind about it. Michael wins the chess game.

Elizabeth brings the antibiotics to Finn. Hayden says she’s dying. When Elizabeth asks why she thinks that, Hayden tells her that she was just being dramatic. Elizabeth asks Finn about Hayden being infected, and says it must be serious if she went into shock. She gets a text from Franco and says she has to go. She hopes Hayden feels better, and tells Finn that the next time he wants her to do something illegal, a little honesty would be nice.

Franco starts choking Tom. Tom tells Franco he’s sorry about Elizabeth. Franco says Tom took away a life, the life Elizabeth knew. He made her afraid and robbed her. Tom says he’s sorry, and Franco says he is too, sorry Tom got paroled. Tom swears he’ll never come near Elizabeth again. Franco asks if Tom’s pals in prison told him that Franco gets off on watching people suffer. Tom begs Franco not to kill him.

Scotty admits he was trying to get the pills. Lucy says it’s not okay, and wonders why he’s being loyal to Ava over her. He says if Ava owed him a favor, it’s good to have a mobster in your pocket. Lucy asks if he was going to steal them before or after they had sex. He says definitely after, and she punches him. She says considering their history, she’s sad and disappointed that he tried to make a fool out of her for Ava. She mentions that Kiki doesn’t know Ava was sleeping with Morgan before he died. Lucy decides to tell Kiki everything.

Ava is stunned that Sonny confessed, and Kiki tells her that he took responsibility for Morgan’s death. Ava asks if he was arrested, and Kiki says Jordan was waiting until got to the station. Kiki wonders why Ava isn’t thrilled about it.

Michael asks if Nell wants a rematch. She’s about to move a chess piece, and he touches her hand, saying she doesn’t want to make that move.

Alexis thinks Jax should tell Carly. He says it’s not the best time. She asks what he’s not telling her, and he says now isn’t the time for that either, and asks for the check. She says she thinks she’ll stay, and he asks why.

Sonny tells Carly that he doesn’t have all the information, so he can’t make a decision. She says look at where he’s standing, look at their reality. They’re the the parents of a dead son, and up until a half hour ago, he thought he was responsible. She asks if he’s learned anything.

Scotty tells Lucy that Kiki just buried her boyfriend. Lucy tells him not to guilt her. He says what if it was Serina? He thinks the reason why Lucy is holding the pills is the reason that’s motivating him – they both want to have something on Ava, and if Lucy gives the sword away, they lose leverage. He suggests she throw in with him and they take Ava to the cleaners

Ava tells Kiki that Sonny did right by Morgan, which is more than she can say for herself.

Nell thinks maybe a rematch isnt a good idea. It’s too easy to like Michael, and it’s not good for either of them. She works for his mother, and if they get close, it could get awkward. He says she went from touching hands to a bad break up in 20 seconds. Ha-ha! He says his family is falling apart, and whether she likes it or not, he considers her a friend. She says she can handle a friendship, and that his family isn’t falling apart, because he won’t let them. He still wants the rematch, but she tells him not to be so certain he’ll win. She’s off to buy a book on chess.

Carly asks Sonny if Morgan’s death doesn’t count for anything. She says he’s telling her that if Jason finds the killer, he’ll do the same thing all over again. She says she loves him and always will, and she’s glad he didn’t kill Morgan, but something has to change. If not him, it has to be her. She walks out.

Alexis tells Jax that she has phone calls to make and she’ll take an Uber home. Jax pays the check and asks her if she’s sure. She says she’s a big girl. He tells her to take care of herself and leaves. She asks for another drink.

Hayden asks Finn what happens next. He can’t get back in the hospital for his research, he’s running low on medication, and now he has to share it. He says it’s not all bad, Roxie is here. He tells Hayden that he has no answers right now, but he knows he’s not going to let her die. She says they’re in it together now.

At the hospital, Elizabeth makes a call asking about the pathogen found in Finn’s lab, and says to call her back with the information. Franco walks in, and she asks what he was thinking and what he did. He says Tom is never coming after her again, and she doesn’t need to be afraid anymore.

Tom sits down across from Alexis and offers to pay for her drink. I go, oh! out loud.

Tomorrow, Jax can’t find Alexis, the custody hearing happens, and Carly grills Michael about Nell.

Little Women: LA – The Reunion – Part Two

We jump right into Christy’s sobriety struggles. She says she’s been sober for over six years and she only had a problem with alcohol. We flash back to some of the girls thinking she was taking pills. Kevin pumps her about a possible relapse. Silence. She walks off to get a tissue, and then insists she hasn’t relapsed. Kevin asks Jasmine if it’s fair and she says no; if you haven’t seen it happen, you can’t accuse someone. Christy says she’s been stressed lately because of her daughter’s and father’s health issues. We see some clips of her being stressed.

Todd talks about watching Christy going through her struggles. He says he’d be on pain pills, but she does everything in her power not to go there. Tonya suggests Christy should be focusing on that instead of Briana. Terra says everyone is going trough crap, whether she knows it or not. She says she went through ovary cyst surgery herself, but she shouldn’t use situations at home as an excuse for acting out on her friends.

Kevin asks if she feels isolated, and Christy says a little. She doesn’t know if the girls are her friends anymore, with the exception of Jasmine and Elena. Tonya is on the fence. So I guess that leaves Terra and Briana. Elena says she tried to fix what was broken. She feels that there’s a future for Briana and Christy’s friendship. She says it’s different with Terra though, because of the police report. She talks about Briana waffling on forgiving Christy. Briana says she was pushed too much. She says she was there for Christy, but not vice versa. Moving on.

We take a look at Little LA’s maternity ward. Kevin suggests there was something in the water, and I tend to agree. He asks if they got a hospital discount. He asks Jasmine how her pregnancy is going. She has gestational diabetes, and is hoping to take care of it with diet. He asks about Elena’s twins. She says they’re growing so fast, before she knows it, they’re going to be in college. She’s sleeping four hours tops, and Terra says four hours sounds like heaven. She says Penny is doing well with D’Artagnan as long as he’s sleeping, but she is showing a jealous streak. Briana talks about her health scare.

The babies’ names are discussed. I love all of them. Unusual without being freaky or embarrassing. They talk about Joe’s opposition to the name D’Artagnan. Terra says he was fine with it until his family got involved. Kevin asks Jasmine if she has anything picked out, but not yet. Or maybe she’s just not telling.

Preston, Chris and Kerwin join the ladies. We see the clip of Tonya saying she thought Briana would have an easier time with a little baby and how that got so blown out of proportion. Tonya sticks by her original comment. Briana says it’s all in how she parents, and she feels Tonya discredited her as a person. She says Tonya has commended her in the past, so she was caught off guard. Jasmine says she was irritated because Tonya is the mother of an average sized daughter. It made her wonder if Tonya thought she’s not a good parent, since she also has an average sized child. Terra says a little child can run over you too. Tonya says Briana and Matt seem to be doing well now, so she thinks it will be fine.

They talks about genetic testing and why it’s important. Terra says it gives you an idea of what to expect with medical problems. Preston says as long as they’re healthy, it doesn’t matter. Kerwin talks about not caring when Angelique was born. Terra says they all feel the same way – they don’t care, but it’s nice to be prepared. We say good-by to the guys.

We revisit Christy’s casino night and the survival retreat. Kevin questions Christy about adding the medical report to the invitation. Christy gives a convoluted explanation. Tonya and Elena talk about Christy’s friends attacking them. Kevin says funny they should mention that, and brings out Karla and Rhonnie. He asks why Christy brought them. Christy says she didn’t think anyone was going to show up, but Elena says they were definitely prepared for the group. Rhonnie says no one has Christy’s back. She points a finger at everyone and tells them what their problems are. Kevin asks how she can suddenly give them a personality evaluation, and I wonder if the two of them are bucking to be on the show. Tonya says they should have waited until Christy got jumped before coming to her defense. Good luck, Rhonnie, getting that glitter eye-shadow off.

Elena says Christy brought them to have someone to help her, and Christy admits that’s true. Jasmine says she read the text from Briana because they wanted her to, and then got flack for it. Jasmine doesn’t want to hear it and Kevin tells the two girls adios.

Nooo! It’s the athletic-wear logo discussion. We flash back to all that. Tonya says she understood some of the criticism, but feels Terra went overboard and hurt her feelings. Terra says she just didn’t see the lotus flower symbolizing Tonya. Kevin asks if it was payback for Tonya ignoring when Penny was born. Terra says she thinks of Tonya as more kick-ass than zen. There’s a mini (no pun intended) argument between Elena and Tonya about Elena’s clothing line. Tonya asks why Elena stopped working on it, and she says she got interested in something else. Tonya says her line will be out soon, and Kevin says maybe the logo will change by then because he’s an idiot.

Kevin asks what everyone thinks about Terra competing on Dancing with the Stars. Elena says she was concerned about Terra starting too soon after the c-section. She admires Terra’s strength, but doesn’t think she could do it. She talks about Terra missing out on the kids and Terra says she does feel like she’s missing out, but she wants to prove to herself and her children that she can do it. She says the first two weeks of rehearsal were hell, but she’s good now. Kevin asks Tonya how she feels, since she’d also wanted to do it, and Tonya says she’s proud of Terra. They discuss Terra’s placenta eating, and Elena says it reminds her of Silence of the Lambs. Ha-ha!

Christy thinks Terra gets opportunities that the others don’t because she’s an executive producer of the show. Yeah, it can’t be because she’s actually talented. Christy says Briana wanted to do DWTS too. Briana says Terra had better means of representation and complains about her ex-publicist. Elena says she doesn’t think it would have happened for Briana anyway. Ouch! Terra says she hopes there’s no jealousy, and Briana says she’s happy with how everything is.

Kevin asks Christy where she thinks they go from here. She says they can continue to fight or move on, and she wants to move on. She promises to stay out of Briana’s life and no comment on the support or lack thereof.

Tonya is taking one day at a time, and having her launch party soon. Elena is ready for a third baby. She wants to get it out of the way so she can have her body back. Jasmine tells us that she’s having either a boy or a girl. Everyone thinks it’s a girl except Terra. Jasmine says she’ll let them know next season, thereby telling us they’ve been renewed.

Kevin thanks everyone and congratulates them on season 6, airing next year, confirming that they’ve been renewed.

👻 Just a word on American Horror Story: Roanoke. I really enjoyed this season. I loved the shows within the shows. It definitely held my interest, and went by way too quickly. The casting was excellent – and I’m sure a lot of fun for Sarah Paulson and Kathy Bates, who both got to go to town. I’m already curious as to what the next installment has in store for us.

November 9, 2016 – Jax Returns, Little LA’s Reunion Heats Up & Kyle Gets His Drag On

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

In the church, Carly talks to God. She talks about Sonny raising the kids to believe in heaven and that there’s a better place. She doesn’t know if she believes that, but says Morgan must be there, and asks that he be safe and protected. Sonny is in the doorway and hears her. He says he couldn’t protect Morgan.

Maxie is late getting home, but Nathan has candles going already for a romantic evening. He tells her that the last time they tried this, the Claudette/Charlotte debacle happened. This time, no interruptions. There’s a knock at the door.

Nina goes to the bar. Valentin is there and tries to flirt with her. She tells him that she’s putting together a bachelorette party. She sees a baby picture of Charlotte on his phone and he tells her that’s his daughter.

Finn looks at Hayden’s hands and she asks what she just gave herself. Cool. He’ll have a purpose again.

Michael reads an old letter to Nell. It’s from Morgan when he was away at military school. (!) Michael explains that Carly wanted Morgan to be safe, so she sent him away to a military academy. He talks about how Morgan called him Mikey and he hated it, but would give anything to hear him say it again.

Sonny apologizes to Carly for interrupting. Carly tells him that the funeral is tomorrow. She says Jason is right, Sonny isn’t well, and he has other kids to take care of. Sonny says he will, and they’ll understand. He goes on about his Morgan guilt and Carly tells him not to. Griff pops in and tells Carly there’s something she should know.

There’s a mail delivery for Nathan. It’s a letter from Amelia Beaulieu (Claudette’s last name) in Quebec.

Nina says Valentin never mentioned he’s a father, and he says there are a lot of things she doesn’t know about him. He tells her that Charlotte is his pride and joy. Nina starts to tell him about how she’d thought Charlotte was her niece at first, but he shakes his head and says he’s her father.

As the smoke alarm blares, Alexis takes Danny outside. She tells him if she doesn’t come back in a minute, to get a neighbor to call 911. He counts, but she comes back out by the time he gets to 17.

Finn has Hayden wash her hands. He says she touched the same thing that infected him.

Danny asks about the cookies, but Alexis says they’re lumps of coal now, with fire extinguisher whatever on them. Laura drops by, and Alexis makes something up about needing a new oven timer. Laura asks if Valentin has any legal claim to the estate. Alexis tells her they’ll talk after she puts Danny to bed, and takes him upstairs. Laura sees the wine bottle.

Griff tells Carly that he can’t walk away from what he heard, and Carly says it’s none of his business. Griff tells her that Sonny canceled the hit. She says she knows that Griff means well, but Sonny already told her. She says she believes him; he would never lie to her about something this important, but it was still too late.

Nell says it’s clear how much Morgan loved Michael. Michael talks about their childhood, how they had bodyguards and were sometimes sent to a private island when things got dicey. He tells her that all they had was each other. He wonders if the memories count when there’s no one to share them with. (That’s so sad!) Nell tells him to share them with Avery. He blames himself again, and Nell says it was an accident. Michael says it was a series of bad decisions with Sonny’s being the worst. Sonny could have made different choices, but didn’t . Nell thinks back about looking at the note in Carly’s office.

Finn tells Hayden that the virus isn’t airborne, but enters through an open wound. He asks why she was there, and she says she came to warn him about Brad’s complaints. Finn realizes she has a cut on her finger. He says a cut of any size could be dangerous.

Alexis comes back downstairs, telling Laura they can go over the paperwork now. She sees Laura eyeballing the wine, but Laura asks if she can have a glass. Alexis is visibly relieved. She tells Laura that the documents Nicholas was forced to sign are invalid because they’re not notarized, but the ones from Mikkos are, and they supercede any claim that Nicholas or Spencer had to the Cassadine estate.

Nina asks Valentin if he realizes he’s the third father Charlotte has had in as many weeks. He tells Nina that he has a birth certificate, and he’s getting a DNA test. He wants to talk to her over a drink, but she says no. He says he thought she was a more independent thinker, and Nina gets annoyed when he calls her a sheep.

Nathan reads the letter to Maxie. Amelia writes that Claudette told her that if she doesn’t hear from her in a certain amount of time, to pass the enclosed on to Nathan. Nathan tells Maxie it’s official that something has happened to Claudette.

Sonny tells Griff that the truth sets you free, but if he hadn’t started things, Morgan would be alive. He says maybe the call was too late or they ignored it, but it doesn’t matter. His son is dead, and now God is punishing him for the life he’s been leading for as along as he can remember.

Nell says it’s hard to recognize the point of no return until it’s passed. 20/20 hindsight and all that. Michael says when you drag someone else along with you, then you’d better think about consequences before you do what you can’t take back. Carly comes in, and Michael leaves to talk to Olivia about the reception. Carly joins Nell. She says she’s worried about Michael. Nell says that he’s strong and it helps him to handle things. Carly says that she’s leaving Sonny to grieve alone. Part of her wants to run to him, because he knows the pain she’s feeling, but she’s reminded of what she’s lost when she sees him. Jax appears out of nowhere, and says if she needs someone to lean on, he’ll be there.

Laura wonders why Mikkos’s documents didn’t show up before, and Alexis thinks Mikkos was hiding them from Helena. She says whoever was holding onto it after she died must have thought it was now safe to give it to Valentin. Alexis says Helena is dead for real this time, which makes me think Helena isn’t dead. Laura wonders why Valentin murdered Nicholas, and says that Nicholas died for no reason.

Finn gives Hayden some pills. He doesn’t want to be the reason someone else dies from the virus.

Jax tells Carly that as soon as he got Michael’s message, he came straight to Port Charles. Carly says Josslyn will need him. Nell excuses herself, and Carly explains that Nell is her assistant now. Jax goes down Memory Lane about taking Michael and Morgan to DisneyWorld. He thanks her for sharing Morgan with him. She thanks Jax for loving him and giving him a happy home for a while. She tells him go ahead and say that she’s a fool, thoughtless, reckless, and selfish to have let Sonny back in her life.

Griff tells Sonny that God doesn’t work that way. Sonny says He does in the Old Testament. Griff says that’s why He gave us a New Testament, based on compassion and forgiveness. Sonny says he doesn’t deserve forgiveness, and Griff says it’s not his call. If he’s truly repentant, he’ll be forgiven. Sonny says those around him are always punished, and he’s taking responsibility tomorrow. Griff asks what he means.

Jax asks if Carly really thinks he’s going to say, “I told you so,” and she says not really. He says he loved Morgan and is going to miss him like crazy. In the hallway, Nell tells Michael that Jax is there. Michael says he’s glad that Carly has someone to lean on. Michael tells Nell that they have to get something clear.

Griff tells Sonny whatever he says is in confidence. Sonny says he’s always made up his own rules and code. When you’re like that, you’re always running, and he didn’t know if he could run fast enough. Now his son is dead, and he can’t run anymore. He’s done. Griff asks when he last slept. Sonny says he’ll get rest when it’s over, and no offense, Griff doesn’t look so hot either. Griff says his life has done a 180, and he’s questioning everything. He thought the priesthood was no longer his calling, but recent events caused him to reconsider. He wonders if God is telling him to pick up the collar again

Nathan wonders if someone got to Claudette. Maxie reads the letter. Claudette says if the letter is being read, the truth is out. She’s sorry for the lies, but she was only trying to protect Charlotte from Valentin. She says if Nathan is reading this, something has happened to her, and Valentin probably did it. Claudette writes that if Valentin finds Charlotte, something bad will happen, and to please protect her.

Nina tells Valentine about Maxie’s kidnapping, but he says he wan’t involved. He says what if what everyone is saying isn’t true? He would love to tell her everything, and how he would never let any harm to come to Charlotte or her mother, or she can believe what everyone is saying.

Alexis tells Laura that Nicholas died a hero, and to grieve his death, but don’t think it was meaningless. Laura says she’s right, and thanks her. Alexis apologizes for not having better news. Laura tells Alexis that she’s going to pack; she doesn’t want to be there when Valentin comes back. Laura leaves, and Alexis looks at the wine bottle. She puts “do I have a drinking problem” in Spyder Finder.

Finn tells Hayden that it’s like his wife all over again. She tried to get close to him and protect him. Hayden says she’s not his wife, and she’s not going to die. He wants her to get some tests and be monitored. She says nothing is wrong, and he needs to clean up the spill. He throws cat litter on it. Really? On toxic waste? Suddenly, Hayden is gone. Finn runs after her.

Danny comes downstairs. He’s worried about the smoke and Alexis says she’ll keep him safe.

Carly tells Jax she’s glad he’s there. They hug.

Michael thanks Nell for stepping into the middle of dysfunctional mess. She says she likes his family; dysfunctional or not, they’re good people. They say good night. Nell sees Jax hugging Carly. I get the distinct impression that Nell does not approve.

Sonny asks Griff about the priesthood. Griff says he took vows, and maybe if he keeps them, it will be better for everyone. Sonny wishes him luck, and says his father would be proud of him. He asks Griff to come to the funeral, and Griff says he would be honored. He tells Griff to take care of his family afterward, and leaves. Griff looks after him worriedly. Although that seems to be Griff’s natural expression. One of my dogs is like that. He has a perpetual worried look.

Maxie tells Nathan that Claudette lied for her daughter. She says he’s going to fight Valentin and she’s going to help.

Valentin tells Nina that he wishes Charlotte had a mother. Ding-ding-ding! The magic word. He orders a drink for Nina, and she smiles at him.

Hayden runs into Windemere. She apologizes for startling Laura. Laura tells Hayden about Valentin. She says she’s moving out and suggests that Hayden do the same. Hayden says it’s the least of her problems right now. Laura asks if she’s okay, and she says she just had a bad day at work.

Finn calls Hayden. He leaves a message that if she’s infected, it’s serious – a matter of life or death – and begs her to come back.

Hayden starts feeling warm and begins to hyperventilate. She passes out. The wind blows the window shut and the candles go out.

Tomorrow, Sam asks Alexis if she was drinking while watching Danny, Nell tells Sonny he’s making a mistake, and Elizabeth thinks Finn is an addict.

Little Women: LA – Reunion Part One

Gorgeous dresses a size smaller. I love Elena’s hair – she has blue ombre through the bottom half and it looks smashing. We flash back through the highlights of the season. Babies, lotus blossoms, Christy, Christy, Christy, Plastic, f-yous, fingers in faces. Host Kevin Frazier asks them how they all felt about it. Terra says there were highs and lows, and Briana says they’ve grown.

Kevin tells us that we’re jumping right into it, and brings out Matt. We flash back to Matt’s untrustworthiness and the infamous Plastic. Briana says she trusts Matt now, and Kevin asks stupid questions. He asks if the rest of the group believes Matt and crickets chirp. Christy claims the women asked her for proof and Tonya squashes that. Christy admits to being in contact with Plastic, and Matt says it was ages ago; he doesn’t even have any social media accounts now. He adds that he’d like to see proof that he said he has a fetish.

Christy talks about how she met Plastic through Briana, and Briana says Plastic wanted to ride some coattails onto the show. Christy says that Plastic came to her. Kevin says Plastic is going to join the group, and Briana and Matt walk out.

Plastic enters. Matt and Briana lose their mics and decide to leave. They shut the dressing room door behind them. Plastic tells Kevin that Briana doesn’t have coattails to ride, and she became friends with Briana because she felt sorry for her. She says Briana is desperate for attention and tries to climb the social ladder. Although I’m not sure what kind of social ladder this would be considered. Plastic claims to have a bigger career than Briana, but no one has ever heard of her, including me. She tells them that she and Matt started talking online and he started getting inappropriate. Christy says he’s not to be trusted. Jasmine asks about proof, and Plastic claims that when Matt deleted his account, it all disappeared, but that’s not how any of this works.

Kevin asks if Plastic has apologized to Briana, but she doesn’t think she needs to because Matt instigated things. Tonya brings up the photo shoot, and how she was gracious enough to invite Christy, but then Plastic showed up, yapping about things no one cared about. Within seconds, Plastic, Terra and Tonya are all talking at once. Plastic claims that later on, Tonya called up and insulted her about her transness again, and she’s releasing the recordings. Kevin suggests she break out the recordings right now, but like the losers on the court shows, she left the evidence at home. Terra says no way it was Tonya. Kevin asks what Plastic wants out of this.

Plastic goes on about how badly she was treated. She says she wanted to clear her name, not gain notoriety. Kevin asks if Tonya has a problem with trans people. She says of course not. Christy says that she doesn’t think Tonya was thinking when she spoke, and Tonya texted her later, apologizing. Kevin tells Plastic good-by. Well, that was uneventful.

Briana is back, without Matt. Briana says he’s tired of being harassed about their relationship. Kevin asks about her family thinking that Matt is isolating her. He asks if she can understand their concern, but Briana feels that it’s nobody’s business. Kevin tells her Radar Online is all interested in her now, but she doesn’t want to answer any questions. She says she talked about it in the beginning, but it’s not like she’s giving regular updates. Briana tells them that her family heard about Matt’s past and refused to give him a chance. They didn’t even meet him, but still formed a negative opinion.

Tonya admits the ladies weren’t impressed either. Briana says she feels that the girls were coming from a good place, but not so much her family. She isn’t sure about Christy. Christy admits she’d said that she wasn’t going to get involved, but when she met Plastic, she changed her mind. Tonya says they did tell Christy not to talk to Briana’s family. Christy agrees it wasn’t her place, but adds that they were all worried.

Christy says Briana’s family called her because they were concerned. Kevin brings up a court order that the family got to see Briana’s daughter, and asks if they’ll ever see Maverick. Briana doesn’t know, and says the last time she saw her father, it was when he delivered court papers from her ex-husband. Terra says she can see why Briana would feel the way she does. Me too. Who does that?

We take a trip down Memory Lane with the Terra/Christy fight. Charges, charges dismissed, Christy’s supposed concussion, Christy adding her medical records to the party invitation. Joe and Todd join the women. Joe thinks Terra and Christy should stay away from each other. He talks about how the police report affected their lives. Terra says in letting it go, they don’t need to stay friends. Todd agrees.

Terra asks Todd if he realized when he saw the film, that Christy was first to throw a “deadly weapon.” Joe insults them, and Todd says that before they came out, Joe told him he’s high as a kite. Joe tells Todd that he said it on purpose to see if Todd would repeat it, and calls him “Todd-ler.” Christy does the “we were all” hurt thing, and Joe asks why she’s the only one who’s allowed to pull the bully card. Christy insists she withdrew the police report, but Joe says she’s lying. Todd yaps about the medical records, and Kevin just happens to have a copy. He reads it and it’s basically how Christy claims she felt, along with a three centimeter contusion, but no treatment required.

Joe calls them on canceling the report. Elena tries to interject and starts yelling. She says Christy regretted her actions and tried to reverse them. Terra says it wasn’t Christy that stopped things, it was the DA, who said they had no case. Terra calls Christy stupid, and Christy stomps off to get a tissue. Kevin asks where they go from here, and Christy says forward, but they seem to be stuck in the past. Terra agrees that moving forward is the only way. I think they have two different definitions of what moving forward is though.

Matt is dragged back out. Kevin wants us to decide whether Matt or Christy was the problem, and we flash back to Christy getting involved with Briana’s family. If I’m going by these clips, I’d say Christy is the problem. Briana says she needed her friend to respect her. She says the Plastic thing was the final nail in the coffin. Christy says Briana’s family was asking about it. Kevin asks if Briana will ever forgive her, but she says not that behavior. Kevin asks Matt why he didn’t contact anyone when Briana was in the hospital. Matt tells them everything that was going on there, and it sounds like he had a pretty good excuse. Briana says she didn’t want anyone to know.

They discuss the yacht incident where Christy went crazy with name calling. Todd says he knows Christy stepped over the line and she regrets it deeply. Kevin asks where the comments came from. Christy starts talking about how they’d said she was using drugs. Kevin asks why she called Briana autistic and Christy desperately tries to avoid the question, but then admits that Briana’s sister told her that Briana has autism. There is seriously something wrong with this woman. Why would anyone want to be friends with her? And why does she consider autism an insult?

Everyone starts laughing, so I guess that isn’t true? Kevin tells Christy it’s inappropriate and ignorant. Christy goes on about being an addict and how it’s a disease. Terra says it’s not the same thing; you come out of the womb with autism. Christy says she regretted it immediately. Briana says what if she did have autism? Christy says Briana claimed she was popping pills, but Briana says she was referring to how Christy was behaving. Kevin says it sinks to the lowest common denominator when they have fights.

Somehow we get to Matt asking if he’s offended people. Joe brings up the oompa loompa comment, but he’s laughing. Kevin wonders if anyone can argue without derogatory comments, and suggests they get off that level. Jasmine says not with this group. Ha-ha!

Kevin asks Christy about her sobriety. She says she’s been sober for years. He asks if it’s strictly alcohol and she claims she’s never had pills. She says she was just super stressed. He asks if she’s relapsed. Christy says she’s done and walks off.

Next time, Terra accuses Christy of popping pills, the average-sized child argument rears its ugly head again, and Karla and Rhonnie make an appearance.

Below Deck

The crew gets the boat ready. Kyle informs the other deckhands that he’s not into dudes, but he likes transgender women. He’s been dating a trans woman for two years. Kelley says no judgements.

Kate asks Ben how his date with Emily went. He says they had dinner and went for a walk, and asks if they’re doing a morning tally. In his interview, he says he likes Emily, but doesn’t want to share that with Kate yet.

Emily tells Sierra about Kyle’s transgender girlfriend. They discuss if that makes him gay. Sierra is annoyed that he’s been pursuing her when he’s dating anyone else.

The primary guests are Liza and Lori who are best friends in the fashion business. They’re also bringing some gay male friends. They want a beach picnic, and are having a surprise drag show for Liza’s birthday. Kate says Kyle will be excited. In her interview, Kate says it’s funny how life works out. Kate tells Kelley it will be super fun.

Ben asks Kyle about his girlfriend. We see a couple of pictures and she’s very pretty. In his interview, Kyle says he never felt like he belonged until he met her. Ben asks about the physical transformation when taking hormones. Kyle says he figured if Kate is open, he can be too. Ben says it’s a beautiful thing. He seems genuinely curious and respectful, so I can see why Kyle doesn’t mind his questions. I wonder if I can get Valor shirts from the Bravo website.

Kate FaceTimes with Ro, who is annoyed that they can’t spend more time talking. Kate says she’s not used to being in a relationship where someone needs this much attention. She tells Ro she has to get to work.

The guests arrive and Captain Lee tells the crew that it’s show time. Aww! They have two little dogs with them. Kate gives the tour. The dogs aren’t wearing life vests and I don’t like that. The yacht pulls out and I marvel at the blue water.

One of the guests lets Kate in on some surprises he has for the drag show. She tells him one of the deck members has experience. In the galley, Kate tells Kyle all about the sequin gowns and wigs, and he’s psyched.

It’s beach picnic time. I know the crew always hates those, since there’s a lot of schlepping stuff back and forth. Kate decorates the table with shells and it looks beautiful. The captain calls Kelley to the bridge. Sierra is wearing a tiara (ha-ha!) while she helps Ben.

Kyle has decided Sierra is annoying. Sierra complains about Kyle to Emily. Kate tells Kyle to get the guests to the beach, but Kelley ends up taking them. Kyle complains to Emily and Ben about Sierra. Ben tells him to knock it off and Emily just laughs.

The picnic is amazing which is no surprise. Everything is always amazing. Emily and Ben sneak a little kiss in the kitchen. Kelley wants Sierra and Kyle to get over it and quit talking about each other. He tells Kyle to deal with it. He sends Kyle to the beach. Kate trusts the others with the guests and heads back to the boat. Kyle and Sierra take the giant umbrella down together, and Kelley radios to Kyle that now’s a good time. Kyle babbles and Sierra tells him he’s being dramatic. I’m not sure how she can tell, since I can barely understand what he’s saying. They have subtitles, but I wasn’t looking. Sierra calls Kyle a queen and I laugh. In his interview, he says if she didn’t know about his girlfriend she just would have called him a d*ckhead. In her interview, Sierra says she’s never had so much drama from a guy and wonders if it’s because she didn’t respond to him in the way he wanted. Back at the boat, Kyle whines to Kelley and Sierra whines to Lauren. Lauren wonders why Kelley would be so unprofessional as to interfere?

Ben makes a fabulous dinner. Filet and scallops. In the crew mess, Nico puts on a pink wig. I squee when I see one of the little dogs sleeping in a bed. They should dress the dogs up too. I get so concerned about these dogs not wearing life vests, I write something on Below Deck‘s Facebook page.

Ben tells Emily about his brother coming. She’s excited to meet him. She asks if he’s like Ben, and Ben says yes, but more eccentric. The slide is brought out. One of the guys puts on a Grecian gown and waves from a speedboat. Everyone is kind of doing something different and it all looks like fun. Ben is concerned that the conch is chewy, and Kate says it’s like conch flavored gum. Bleh. She says it’s edible, but not ready yet. Because Emily thinks it’s okay, Ben decides to serve it, but the guests think it’s too chewy. In her interview, Kate says I told you so.

The logistics of the drag show are discussed. The main attraction doesn’t lip sync very well. In his interview, Kyle says he can do something he’s good at, and if he has to wear a dress for it, fine.

Oooh! The table is gorgeous! Ben gives Kyle a taste of sea urchin and Kyle suddenly feels lightheaded. Uh-oh, he’s allergic. He starts getting red and asks for an antihistamine. He says he has to be careful with seafood. Why did he eat that then?

The guests sit down to dinner, but Kyle is passing out. Kate says he’s supposed to be in drag, not drugged, and he’s in a Benadryl coma. Kate does his makeup while he’s half-asleep. Ben gets the food going. Kate puts glitter in Kyle’s beard. Kyle sips a Red Bull. She tells him to keep away from flames. He says he looks like he’s been bombed by a Care Bear. The guests are thrilled with dinner. Kate tells them there are fireworks from the mainland tonight, so they’re having dessert on the main deck. This is a ruse to get them upstairs.

Cue the music. Kate tells the guests the fireworks are about to begin. The main entertainer and Kyle do some lip-syncing while Nico dances back-up. A confetti gun is shot. Glitter is everywhere. Nico says it’s all about the tips. It’s over all too quick. I would have liked to see more of that.

In the morning, Kyle still has glitter in his beard. Nico says it looks like he did nasty things with Tinkerbell. Kate makes a wreath out of a pink boa with little white lights in it and places it on one of the beds as a parting decoration. The guest is tickled pink. BA-DUM-CHH!

Time to go. Bye-bye little vestless dogs. Captain Lee gets the envelope and tells everyone good work. It’s time to gather in the crew mess. In his interview, Kyle says he sees Sierra for who she is now. Please. Captain Lee thought everything was perfect. He says the tip isn’t what they’re used to. At first I think he’s joking and it’s more than they usually get, but no. It’s $1,100 each. He says it happens. He tells them enjoy their night out – after the boat is finished.

Ben says his brother is coming and they’re going to get loose. And there he is. Ben says he’s the more reserved. Kate says she’s known James for a while and likes him better than Ben at this point. Ben introduces James around, and James gifts the crew with hand-rolled cigars. He asks how Ben’s cooking is and Kyle says Ben gave him an allergic reaction five minutes ago. James asks Emily how the date was in front of everyone. In her interview, Emily says Ben is more manly and James is more well groomed.

Ben and James go off for a night out. James tells Ben that the yacht is impressive. James sounds exactly like Ben. If I closed my eyes, I probably couldn’t tell the difference. They go out to dinner. Ben hopes for validation about Emily. James says Ben is doing better than he is.

Lauren and Nico start drinking on the boat. Kyle asks Kate if he can sleep in the master bedroom tonight. It has a big, real bed, and a TV, on which he’s hoping to see boobies. Kate gives the okay.. Lauren and Nico goof around in the room and nearly break something. Nico pours more alcohol into Lauren’s mouth.

Kate, Sierra and Emily hang out and talk. Ben and James are headed back, and Ben drops his pants on the dock. James takes a picture. Ben walks to the boat with no pants on. And I mean half nakey. He sheds the rest of his clothes before they get back on the boat.

Nico chugs fireball. Kate tells the three of them not to make a mess and hopes there isn’t another pizza-on-the-floor incident. Kyle thinks Lauren has no respect for the interior. Ben wanders around wearing a hoodie like a loin cloth. Kyle’s quiet evening of boobies has taken a different turn. Ben breaks something in the bathroom and says they’re screwed.

Next time, an obnoxious repeat guest, the captain confines the crew, and Nico and Kelley butt heads.

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Franco tells Elizabeth he’s thrilled that GH is reopening. Elizabeth tells him to thank his mother again. Time to get back to work.

Monica makes a speech next to Steve Hardy’s portrait. She wants everyone to reflect on what’s happened and celebrate the hospital’s victory. She thanks everyone for their patience and stubborn determination. She wants to point out someone without whose help they couldn’t have done it – Tracy. Franco is just a tad disappointed.

Curtis is sitting at the bar. Valerie comes in and asks him what he’s doing there.

Jason calls to check on Sonny. He’s made it through another night. Sam wakes up and asks if the baby is going to be okay.

Griff says Charlotte is getting along great with Emma, and it’s distracting her from asking where her mom is. Anna says Emma has always wanted a younger sibling. She thinks it’s safer for them to stay with her until they find out what kind of threat Valentin poses.

Alexis comes downstairs wondering what happened. Pillows and bottles and glasses are everywhere. She sees the liquor box and says that happened. She adds that Valentin also happened, like she needed another reason to drink. She starts cleaning up and the doorbell rings. She thinks it’s the cleaning lady, but it’s Valentin.

Curtis says he’s there to see Valerie because she always comes there after spin class for her green drink. She asks what he’s working on, and he tells her cheating spouse stuff. She agrees they both have job things they can’t share. She’s glad he’s not working for Julian anymore though.

Jason tells Sam that she and the baby are fine. He calls what happened something I don’t catch, but it’s nothing serious. He says she’s not allowed to do anything strenuous, but everything else is back to normal. She says what’s normal for other people isn’t normal for them, and he says they’re working on the new normal.

Franco is like, what? Tracy says they’ve gotten a victory, but still have to win the battle to stay open and solid. There are still board members who want to sell, and they have to convince them otherwise by doing their best work. Elizabeth tells Franco that he’s the real person responsible. Hayden overhears and says she has it backward. Franco’s nutjob mother is the reason GH closed in the first place. Elizabeth says Franco had nothing to do with the crimes, and he works here, unlike Hayden. Hayden tells her she’s the hospitals new financial manager.

Dante comes by Anna’s place and tells them that the house is being guarded. Griff thanks them for everything and goes to work. Anna tells Dante that she’s sorry about Morgan. He says if they’d nailed Julian for killing Duke, Morgan would be alive. He feels like a failure as a cop and a brother. Anna says it’s not his fault that so much went wrong with the case, and if he needs anything to let her know. She asks him to tell her everything he knows about Valentin.

Valentin apologizes to Alexis for his unannounced visit. She threatens to call the police. He says whether she likes it or not, they’re family, and he wants to offer her a job.

Griff and Finn welcome each other back. Griff says Finn looks a lot better. Tracy says Dr. Finn made her aware of his issues, and it’s a private matter that won’t affect the patients. Griff moves on, and Finn tells Tracy not to stick her neck out for him. When his drug supply runs out, he’ll be sick again. She says by then he’ll find a cure. He asks about her unusual optimism. She says it’s funny how that happens when you have something to live for, and then looks at Hayden.

Hayden tells Elizabeth that she learned a lot from her father. No surprise, Elizabeth makes a snide comment. Hayden says the hospital was hemmoraging money, and she needs to figure out how to keep it open. She says she hopes they don’t have to cut the nursing staff. Touche.

Curtis tells Valerie she still looks incredibly sexy after a workout. She says more like sweaty, and usually gets her shakes to go. He takes a selfie with her and she threatens him with his life if he puts it on social media. He goes to get himself a coffee and Valerie her green stuff. Valerie deletes the picture, and the next one is a shot from Morgan’s case file. Seriously though, how dare she mess with his phone?

Sam tells Jason she thought they were waiting to move, but Jason says he’s close to an answer that will wrap things up. Sam asks about Alexis and he tells her that he’s left messages, but she hasn’t gotten back to him. Sam thinks that’s odd.

Valentin wants to hire Alexis as a consultant. Even if Nicholas is alive, he’s the legitimate owner of the Cassadine assets. Alexis says Valentin killed Nicholas and she isn’t amused by his charm. I am.  She says she’s a Cassadine, remember? He tells her they’re more alike than she cares to admit, and he knows she committed multiple ethics violations. He says they’re both the bastard children of Mikkos. Helena could put Medea to shame, and they never got what was rightfully theirs. Helena even tracked down Alexis’s mother and murdered her. He calls Alexis “Natasha,” and tells her that they deserve to inherit everything. Now I want to call him “Boris,” and have a cartoon in my head of them dressed up and holding one of those round, black bombs.

Finn acts ignorant, and Tracy asks if denial is his best defense. She says she sees the looks between them, although she doesn’t know what he sees in Hayden. He says there’s nothing between them and never will be. Tracy apologizes for suggesting differently. Finn thinks it’s ironic that Tracy hired Hayden for GH and not ELQ. Tracy says she thought he’d want her to be close by, but maybe her radar was off.

Valerie asks Curtis for an explanation. She says he’s been lying to her and never stopped working for Julian.

Obrecht asks Franco why he’s not working, and he says no patients yet. He wonders why she’s so chipper, and says he thought schadenfreude was her favorite emotion. She says she almost has a sense of…what’s the word? He says, empathy? but she’s like, hell no. He says he single-handedly saved the hospital, but he’s pretty much the pariah of upstate New York. He wants to know how he can get past that, and Obrecht tells him the biggest obstacle in his relationship with Elizabeth is himself.

Elizabeth tells Griff that she and Robin are good friends, and asks about him staying with Anna. He says they’re going above and beyond for him, but say he’s family. Elizabeth talks about how he contributed when her house blew up and he didn’t even know her.

Anna brings out coffee and tells Dante about being the WSB agent on the case. She says if he has info on Valentin, she’d appreciate hearing it. Dante tells her that Valentin is the bastard son of Mikkos, and explains what happened on the island. Anna says if he did kidnap Claudette, she doesn’t have a clue where he’d take her. Dante says he does recall one thing.

Alexis tells Valentin no thanks. She has no stake or interest in the estate. Their father was an unrepentant misogynist and women inherited nothing. Valentin says all she has to do is prove his share is legal. She says what if research shows Spencer owns it? He says if she makes a good faith effort and he’s not the heir, he’ll leave and never bother them again. I hope after paying her.

Sam and Jason enter. Jason immediately gets in Valentin’s face.

Finn congratulates Hayden on her new job. She can’t believe Tracy pushed the board to hire her. She says because Tracy thinks Finn walks on water, she got the job. Finn says it was her own talent that got her hired, and it’s good to have her on board. She says she owes him an aplogy.

Curtis says he never meant to deceive Valerie. He meant what he said. Valerie says he took advantage of her to access a file. He reminds her that she left it on the desk. She asks if he saw dollar signs or wanted to impress Julian? He says it was an accident; it fell and opened up, and he thought there was no harm in snapping a few pictures. She says it was rookie mistake, but he didn’t have the decency to look away. She could have lost her job if Jordan walked in. She says he’s everything Jordan warned her about.

Valentin tells Jason that he’s family. Alexis says it’s not worth it. Valentin tells Alexis to think about the offer. He gives her his card. Before he leaves, he says he’s sorry about the wine delivery. He didn’t know she wasn’t drinking anymore. OMG – he is so smooth! You just know she has to be at least a little grateful for that save.

Anna tells Dante that Valentin must have enough money for bribes or has the ear of enough powerful people to make things happen. She hasn’t gotten anywhere with questioning anyone.

Griff apologizes to Elizabeth for the weirdness with Franco. She says Franco is just being Franco and is a little territorial.

Obrecht tells Franco he’s concealing his true self and bottling his emotions. Franco says he really likes Elizabeth. Obrecht asks him how long before the ticking time bomb in his head explodes. It’s that one Boris is holding.

Franco says he’s trying to be a better person for Elizabeth. Obrecht says they’re all heros in their own story. Franco says he doens’t need to be a villain in everyone else’s. She tells him that there’s no becoming better, and he needs to find someone who loves him for him. Franco claims he won’t be jealous anymore. Obrecht tells him that Elizabeth is talking to Griff right now, and makes a remark about his strudel. Franco jets over to Elizabeth, putting his arm around her and saying hi.

Curtis tells Valerie that Jordan’s opinion is tainted, and he’s not the same man. She says what he just did proves otherwise and she has thinking to do. He asks her, about us? and she says there is no “us” anymore. They’re done. She has to think if she should turn him in for stealing evidence.

Alexis asks Jason if Sam and the baby are okay. He says it’s an easy to treat minor condition. Jason says he called, and Alexis tells him that her phone died. Jason leaves to check on Carly. He says if Valentin comes back, to call him. Sam asks what Valentin offered her.

Finn says Hayden doesn’t owe him an apology. Hayden says she said some harsh things, especially about his wife. She was out of line to tell him he should move on. She doesn’t know that kind of love, and had no business telling him to get over it when it’s convenient for her. Finn says if she needs a lunch buddy, he’s here. She says he misunderstood. She doesn’t want to be buddies.

Elizabeth tells Franco that they were talking about Griff’s daughter. Franco says he has a bit of a jealous streak, and it reared it’s head, but asks for a second chance. He says that he and Griff will be working together, and keeps shoving candy in his mouth as he’s talking. He steers Griff off down the hall so they can get acquainted.

Obrecht is watching all of this, and Monica tells her that an ambulance is coming in, so she might want to get to the ER. Obrecht says she thought she was banished to the records department. Monica says it’s a new era, and if she follows the rules and keeps her nose clean, things will change. Obrecht practically skips out.

Hayden tells Finn that she’s not doing that to herself. He understands and she suggests they keep it professional. They shake hands. Oh come on. Not even in the friend zone?

Tracy asks if Finn is still trying to make her believe that he doesn’t have feelings for Hayden.

On the phone, Curtis says the cops are breathing down his neck and he has to talk to someone asap. Jason comes in and says talk to him.

Sam takes the card, but Alexis wants it back. She says if she can prove that Valentin can’t lay claim to the estate, he’ll leave. Sam doesn’t believe it.

Anna approaches Valentin’s hotel room door. He comes up behind her and says he’s been expecting her.

Tomorrow, Curtis connects Sonny to the bomb, Nathan says someone has been asking questions about Charlotte, and Anna asks Valentin if they’ve met before.

Little Women: LA

Elena and Preston check out a toy train place. Elena says it seems like lately no one is having any fun. In her interview, she talks about the disaster that was the survival retreat. We flash back to the highlights of Terra and Briana still not getting along with Christy. Elena says she’s friends with all of them and wants to invite them to celebrations, but she’s worried that they’ll make everything a downer. She wants to bring them together with something that will bring back the old days and remind them of why they became friends in the first place. Preston suggests she take it outside of LA.

Todd and Christy go out to lunch. Autumn’s health issues are leveling off, but Todd is still worried about Christy’s dad. Christy says the stress has been exhausting. Todd asks if the survival retreat was about the conditions or the people, and Chisty says both. Christy thinks Terra faked apology, and for some reason, is under the misconception that Briana accepted hers.

Terra, Tonya, Elena and Briana take a self-defense class. In her interview, Tonya is concerned about Briana wanting a gun. She says she wants to prove even if you’re 3‘8“, you can be a powerhouse. The girls do pretty well, but are also laughing through the whole thing. Terra says she feels like a warrior.

Afterward they talk about the survival retreat. Terra just wants everything with Christy behind her. She doesn’t want the rest of them to have to pick between friends, and wants them to be able to share the same environment without fighting. Elena hopes she can stick to her word, and asks everyone to remember how they used to have fun. She’s bringing the girls out to the desert to do land sailing. Briana says she’ll be cordial, even though Christy’s apology was bogus. Elena is like, what is it that you want? and thinks Briana is playing hardball, but they’ll be friends again one day.

One of Tonya’s eyes is weaker than the other. She’s eventually having surgery to strengthen it, but in the meantime is getting Lasik surgery. She’s terrified and I don’t blame her. It looks scary. It’s over quickly though. Preston says this beat the dog psychic that Angelique brought in a few weeks ago. We flash back to Tonya and Preston grilling her about dating. Tonya says that Angelique’s new boyfriend is her old boyfriend, Reggie, who Preston hasn’t met. He’d previously broken it off because he didn’t have a job, and she’s concerned he doesn’t want to meet Preston because he still doesn’t have it together.

Matt and Briana discuss Maverick at lunch. He has acid reflux and the doctor has said all they can do is give him drops for gas. Briana tells Matt about the self-defense class and explains the moves they learned. She says it made her think about Christy, and Matt asks if she’s coming to Thanksgiving. Ha-ha! Briana says Elena thinks Terra has a reason not to forgive, but Briana doesn’t and is just following in Terra’s footsteps. Matt says they’re in the same boat. Briana says she knows what Terra feels. Christy wants to be miserable and she doesn’t. Matt says if people are going to hang out as friends, it would be nice if there was a time with no drama. Briana tells him about the land sailing trip. He tells her to please come home in one piece.

Terra is rehearsing for Dancing with the Stars. Tonya and Elena come to watch. Terra says Sasha keeps telling her to tuck her derriere, but it’s tough being a little person with her shape. They go through their dance and it looks great. Tonya tears up because she’s so proud of Terra’s accomplishments. She thinks Terra has a shot at winning. Terra says Sasha looks past her being a little person, but at the same time, acknowledges it, and she loves that.

Terra tells the girls that this is hard on her body. She also thinks the other people don’t look at her like competition. She feels like they’re dismissing her. She hates that, and doesn’t want Sasha to feel like they’re not real competitors. She says she didn’t feel like the underdog until she heard other people talking about everyone else except her. She says they all think she can’t do it. In her interview, she says you get this all the time as a little person. She wants to show the world they can do anything. Tonya says she can’t let the others bring her down. Elena says she’s sacrificed a lot to be on the show, and Terra says it’s hard never being home. In her interview, Elena says Terra has the weight of all the little people on her shoulders and doesn’t want her to focus on that. Terra asks them to come to the first show.

Angelique has agreed to bring Reggie home to meet her father. Tonya says if she thinks they’re going easy on her, he’s getting the same treatment she got when Kerwin moved in. Angelique and Reggie arrive. Kerwin asks if they’re having sex. Tonya says if they are, are they using protection, and moves immediately to what their future plans are. Not too overwhelming and awkward. Reggie says marriage is ultimately the goal. He says Kerwin called him “son,” but Kerwin explains that was because of the age difference, not indicating his place in the family. They joke around and things go well. Tonya makes a toast to the future.

Jasmine says the best thing about being a little person is that she can actually play on the playground while the other moms have to watch. It’s one of those indoor things where you can only weigh so much. She meets Briana, and tells her what the other girls said at the class. Jasmine says she was disappointed in Briana and Terra for not being able to put their differences aside; it was like high school. Briana says at least she tried, but in her interview, Jasmine says she should have just stayed home. She tells Briana that Christy isn’t taken seriously, and she’s heard her say she’s sorry multiple times. Briana says she gets it and she’s moving forward. She respects how Jasmine feels, but hopes she doesn’t get hurt.

Kerwin and Tonya do some mini-golfing. She says on days like this, she falls in love with him all over again. They are pretty funny together. He tells her she did good, and likes that they’re spending time together. She talks about rebuilding her relationship with the girls, and he asks what about them. He says he misses Texas, but he’s enjoying being together. Tonya says it’s not as abd as she thought it was going to be. She says part of her wanted it and part of her was scared, but now she’s good. He suggests getting a house together, one that’s theirs. Tonya is excited to do something more permanent.

The girls meet at the land sailing place. The instructor explains how the “land yacht” works. You steer with your feet. Jasmine is a little miffed because she’s pregnant and no one seems to care. Christy acts all smiley. In her interview, she says she’s there for Briana, thinking they made amends. In her interview, Terra says she doesn’t want a relationship with Christy, but doesn’t want the girls to feel weird. She tells the girls that she doesn’t want Motocross take two, and we flash back to her biking mishap. The instructor tells them there are no brakes, and to be careful because you can flip over easily. Jasmine opts out of the sailing.

The yachts are set up. In her interview, Terra says Sasha had advised her against this venture, and she tells everyone she loves them in case she doesn’t come back. It looks awesome, but they go really fast. Terra says she doesn’t know what she was worried about because it’s easy and fun. Tonya gets stuck, but no one volunteers to help. She says that in times like this, you can count on your friends to stand in the shade and yell advice while you struggle. She finally gets going again, and then gets stuck again. Elena is having a ball.

Terra wants to talk to Christy and make sure they’re standing on neutral ground. Terra approaches Christy and says they haven’t talked in forever. Christy just stares at her. In her interview, Terra says it’s dry like the desert, and she hadn’t expected such a lack of response.

Terra says neither one of them are innocent. Christy gives her a blank stank face. She tells Christy that everyone is tired of the drama. She doesn’t want to fight anymore and hopefully they can just…she doesn’t even know what to say. In her interview, Christy says she doesn’t know what to believe. Terra says nice chat, and goes back to the group. For someone who keeps claiming they want to set things right, I dunno about Christy.

Even though she couldn’t participate, Jasmine is glad they came. She says even though they’re not all friendly, at least they’re not fighting. Tonya asks how everyone felt about the retreat, but no one is very positive. Jasmine says she thinks Terra and Briana are being childish. She wanted them to mend fences and came out with nothing. Terra suggests she’s more concerned about their relationships than they are. Good point.

Tonya says it took time to get that way and it will take time to get back. Briana agrees that it wouldn’t be real to just say everything is fine again. Terra says she looks forward to more days like this. Elena says they’re blessed to have each other and suggests they watch the sunset.

In her interview, Elena says friendship like this is worth fighting for. As the sun sets, there’s a group hug and I love yous.

This was the finale. The only interesting blurb was that Christy still doesn’t have Briana’s new phone number. I didn’t think she would.

Next time, the reunion. Duck, just not as far, and run. Plastic will be joining them.

👢 I checked out Little Women: Dallas and it looks like it has possibilities. I had abandoned the Atlanta branch of the franchise – too much twerking and fighting – but Dallas looks like it’s kinder, gentler, and more interesting. So far. Emily and Bri, otherwise known as The Cheeks (Right and Left) have moved from Atlanta back to their home state. They did seem to be the most normal of the Atlanta bunch. Sadly, Emily lost her baby at three months, but is still with her squeeze, Wooda (shoulda, coulda). The clothes are cute, and I like the cowgirl spin on things. We’ll see how it goes and if I can stick it out.

October 26, 2014 – GH’s Carly Strikes Back & Little LA’s Christy Strikes Out

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Griff thanks Anna for helping him. She tells him there’s no manual for being a parent. He says it was just him and now he’s plus one. Anna reminds him that God doesn’t give you more than you can handle. Maxie storms in wondering where “that witch” is. She says it’s Claudette’s fault she was kidnapped. Anna says she’s gone. Nathan asks where, but Griff says they don’t know.

Curtis meets Jordan at the station. She thinks he’s working for Sonny.

Alexis tells Julian the bomb was payback for all the horrible things he’s done. Now Morgan is dead because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and he was just a kid. Julian says he was a grown man and Alexis starts getting loud. She asks everyone if they wouldn’t throw a parade if Julian was gone. Julian says she’s drunk. Maybe so, but that doesn’t make it any less true.

Michael is on the bridge and Nell comes along. She says it’s a great view and he says it’s a good place to think. She offers to leave, but he tells her to stay. He says he’s not going to find what he’s looking for anyway – his little brother.

Jason interrupts Sonny trying to strangle Scotty.

Griff says he tried to stop Claudette, and Maxie says he did a bang up job. He says he thought he was getting through. He turned his back for a second, and she knocked him out. Anna asks if Claudette knew about the kidnapping. Nathan says they were together when he found Maxie’s bracelet. Anna says Claudette probably thought she was next.

Curtis says he’s a licensed PI, and it’s none of Jordan’s business who he works for. She tells him to stay out of her investigation, because when she goes after Sonny, she might go after him too.

Nell and Michael talk about the history of the bridge. Michael remembers how he and Morgan played there as children. Nell says them, and the body guards, and tells him it’s an intense way to grow up. Michael says they spent half the time with their mom and half with Sonny. He talks about how Morgan loved penguins because the family stays together. He says Morgan was the definition of homebody. Nell wonders how he’d feel about no one sticking by his father.

Scotty says he still dreams about a child he lost and Sonny is going to dream about a child he murdered.

Alexis says she’s not drunk, but she’s working on it. She tells Julian to shut up, and tells him that everyone knows he’s a murderer. He says he didn’t kill Morgan, but she says he might as well have. He says Morgan mixed his meds with alcohol, and it’s lucky he didn’t take other people down with him. He starts talking about Carly and Sonny being bad parents. Carly comes out of nowhere and whacks him good. I laugh and so does Alexis.

Griff asks if Maxie is sure The Beard was Valentin’s emissary. She says he never said it, but she’s sure. Anna says she’ll get an investigation going. Nathan says the PCPD is working with the Coast Guard.

Curtis says Jordan wants to tell him where he can and can’t work, and now she wants to arrest him. She says he’s interfering with the investigation. She tells Curtis that Sonny killed his own son instead of Julian, and if he wants justice, he should turn himself in. Suddenly, it dawns on Jordan that Curtis is working for Julian.

Carly says Julian came into her restaurant and now he’s talking trash about her son. Julian tries to tell her to calm down, but she just gets louder. She says he’s a liar and a murderer. She tells him to come on try to put a knife to her throat, then throws him out.

Ava tells Scotty that she’s sorry about his daughter. She says Sonny is dangerous, and now he’s grieving, so Scotty shouldn’t provoke him. Scotty says Jason is the only reason Sonny let him go, and Ava says he’s welcome; she texted him. Scotty wants to call the police, but Ava stops him.

Sonny tells Jason if it wasn’t for Scotty getting Julian off, Morgan would still be alive. Sonny says he wouldn’t have ordered the car bomb in a million years and the guy refused to do the job, but now his son is dead. Jason asks if he’s blaming him.

Nathan finds out which flight Claudette took and says the Canadian police will be waiting. Anna wants her to know that Charlotte is okay and they can protect them. Nathan says it doesn’t matter that he’s not her father, he’s going to do his job to protect and serve.

Jordan says she wondered why Sonny would hire an outsider, especially one who has connections to the police. She asks what Curtis has, and says it’s his obligation to tell her. He says she refused him entry into the police force, so he worked hard to make it on his own, and now she wants his information. She says she’s trying to stop a war. If he proves that Sonny planted the bomb, there will be retaliation. Curtis says Julian doesn’t want Sonny dead; he wants to put Sonny in prison.

Alexis asks Carly if she wants her to call someone. Carly says no, and Alexis doesn’t look like she’s doing so great herself. Alexis is surprised Carly is at work, and Carly says she doesn’t want to be home because Morgan isn’t coming through the door. Alexis says she’s sorry, and Carly says she hates that phrase. No matter how sorry anyone is it won’t bring Morgan back.

Ava tells Scotty that the first person Sonny will call is Diane, and she’ll want to know what led up to the altercation. She’s afraid she’ll be exposed. Sonny already knows the symptoms of being bi-polar. He’ll remember how he found her in Morgan’s room and put the pieces of the puzzle together. She says how long would she live after that? He’s her attorney and they need to just step back and keep cool. Scotty adds, and let Sonny self destruct.

Nell tells Michael that when you meet Sonny, it’s easy to know he’s in charge, but lately he’s been drinking and seems to have a delayed reactions. She says he’s fine with Avery, but she shouldn’t be responsible for his happiness. She says if he’s left alone to grieve, she’s not sure he’s going to make it.

Sonny tells Jason to leave, but he doesn’t want Sonny to be alone. Sonny says Jason made his choice not to work with him and he honored that. He says they’ve always been honest with each other. Jason could have eliminated Julian, and Morgan would still be alive. He can’t count on Jason anymore.

Curtis says he’s paid to provide a service and Julian knows he’s up to the task. He thinks Jordan is jealous of how he’s better at it than she is. He says she can’t afford to have him beat her to the punch, and thinks she’s threatened by him. He asks what it is about him that she’s afraid of.

Anna says it’s unlikely that Charlotte is the target. Valentin is obsessed with Claudette, and since she left, the target has moved. Griff gives Claudette credit for being a decent mother.

Alexis says they’ve had their differences, but in the end, she and Carly are both mothers who would lay down their lives for their children. She can’t comprehend what Carly is going through. Carly says she doesn’t know what comes next. The thought of life without Morgan terrifies her. Alexis says she could lose one of her daughter just as easily, and if it happened to Carly, it could happen to her.

Sonny swears he didn’t do it. Jason says Sonny made the best decision given the situation, and to let him find out who screwed it up. Sonny says he set it in motion. Carly begged him not to and he didn’t listen because he believed it was right. Now Carly and Michael are gone, and Morgan is dead; he has nothing left. Jason says he’s still there, but Sonny says he lost Jason a long time ago.

Curtis says either Jordan has a problem letting him win or she likes him getting to her. Andre calls, but Jordan asks to call him back. She tells Curtis to go. He has Julian’s bidding to do, which he’ll mess up since he messes up everything he touches. He leaves and his phone rings. Its Julian.

Julian tells Curtis that he wants Sonny in prison and wants Sonny’s wife to stop making him look bad in front of Alexis. He wants proof and wants it now.

Maxie doesn’t feel like eating. She tells Nathan that she’s worried about Charlotte, but Nathan says she has a new life and she’ll adjust. Maxie says as much as she hates Claudette, she doesn’t want her harmed. She says The Beard will come after Claudette like he did with her.

Anna says Griff won’t become a father overnight, but he can be a guardian in the meantime. Griff wonders if Charlotte will ask for her mommy. He says he wasn’t Claudette’s best option’ he was the only the one she had left.

Carly says Julian is arrogant and does what he wants to do. She’s going to her office and tells Alexis if Julian comes back to stay out of it. Alexis says she tried to stop Julian, and all she did was get misery. Carly says she’s miserable too, and wouldn’t mind a fight.

Michael tells Nell all he can think about is his little brother. He talks about how special Morgan was. and now he’s gone because of their dad. He doesn’t know how he can forgive that. Nell says she’s not saying forgive, but someone is in the same pain that he is. She tells Michael that if he thinks there’s anything salvageable in the relationship, think twice about abandoning Sonny.

Alexis calls Michael. She thinks Carly could use some support. Michael tells Nell he has to go. Nell says she hopes she didn’t overstep, but he says she’s just being truthful, kind and cute. Or kind of cute. I’m not sure. He asks if she’ll stay with Avery until they can figure something out.

Sonny says since Jason got his memory back, he’s been distant. It’s not going to work out the way it used to. Jason asks if they’re not friends, and Sonny says he’s on his own now. Jason says he’s blaming himself and punishing himself by pushing everyone away, but he’s not going anywhere. Sonny says when he looks at Jason, all he can think about is what he lost. He doesn’t want him there or his help; he just wants his son. Jason says can’t bring Morgan back, but he’s not giving up on Sonny. Sonny says he gave up a while ago, and don’t try him because he’s got nothing left to lose. He tells Jason to get out and Jason leaves. Sonny does not look good.

Anna tells Griff that things will be clearer in the morning. He says things are clear now, and it’s no wonder Claudette went to Nathan. He’s failed every test he’s had, and Charlotte deserves better. He doesn’t think he can be a father to her. Anna says he’ll have to give her up then.

Nathan tells Maxie that Claudette wasn’t on the plane.

Curtis sneaks into Sonny’s place.

Ave talks to herself, saying she hopes Nicholas and Morgan are at peace, wherever they are. That’s a good question. Where are they? Ava’s phone rings. She asks who it is and then, as though he read our minds, she says, “Nicholas?”

Jordan calls Andre, apologizing for blowing him off. She says it was a work thing, but nothing consequential.

Curtis goes through drawers. Jason finds him and he suggests maybe they can work together.

Michael comes to the hotel. Carly realizes that Alexis must have called him. He says he ran into Nell and Sonny isn’t doing well.

Sonny goes to the bridge. He looks like crap. He relives his last argument with Morgan, telling Carly Morgan is dead, and Carly blaming him. He takes out a gun and says he’s sorry to Morgan. He looks confused and starts to cry.

Tomorrow, Jason asks Curtis who he’s working for, Jordan tells Valerie that Curtis is dirty (and not in a good way), and Sonny sees Robin on the bridge. She spends more time in Port Charles as a vision than she does in actuality.

Little Women: LA

The girls’ night at the casino isn’t going too well. Christy’s friend Rhonnie gets into it with Tonya, and her other friend Karla chimes in, cursing Tonya out. Lovely. Tonya tells Christy she was just the messenger in telling her why Terra didn’t want to be there. In her interview, Christy says she keeps trying to fix things and it gets screwed up. We flash back to all the times she’s tried to prove she’s right, which is what she calls fixing things. Elena tells Rhonnie that they weren’t involved, so it’s none of their business, and Christy had claimed that she wanted them to get together to apologize. In her interview, Elena is disappointed that instead of an apology, they got medical records and Christy’s nasty friends.

Christy apologizes to Tonya. Tonya says that’s why she came. Jasmine says Christy’s problem is Terra and Briana, and asks what she’s going to do to fix that. Christy is up for ideas, but nobody has anything.

Terra meets Tonya for lunch. Tonya is impressed with Terra’s shoes. Terra says she’s breaking in her heels because they’re the first dancing shoes she’s using on Dancing with the Stars. Tonya says she’s always wanted to do the show, but she’s excited for Terra. She suggests Terra use her activewear for rehearsals.

Tonya tells Terra about how Christy brought her posse with her to casino night. Terra says she wants to meet privately and talk to Christy about moving on. Tonya doesn’t have any suggestions for that, but she wants all the girls to go on a survival retreat. In her interview, she says the team building exercises will help them build relationships or the girls will kill each other off one by one. Either way, it’s good.

In her interview, Christy talks about coming up to her seventh anniversary of being sober. She’s upset that Briana was spreading rumors about her popping pills. Christy meets with her “sober sister” to discuss life events. Christy tells her about the retreat and Sis says that Christy can’t make someone be friends with her. Christy says she’s going to apologize one more time to Briana and Terra. Whether they accept it or not is on them.

Commercial break. In the Little Women: Atlanta‘s Reunion Part Two, it looks like there are a lot of soap opera faces and mouths hanging open. I’m passing on this one, even though Juicy’s umbrella trimmed in marabou feathers looks interesting.

In her interview, Briana says being moms has brought her and Terra closer together and they’ve been able to let past things go. The two couples get together. Terra makes her announcement about Dancing with the Stars. In her interview, Briana claims she was supposed to be on it a couple of seasons ago, but had to pass. Terra brings up girls’ night. Matt says no way they want to be around Christy, since she got all up in their legal business. In her interview, Briana says she doesn’t want to get stabbed in the back again.

Terra tells Briana about the retreat. Briana says that there’s no way she can be friends with Christy again, and Terra says there won’t be any kumbaya moment on her end.

Jasmine and Elena go camping shopping. Elena checks out a switchblade. Elena says it’s obvious they don’t know what they’re doing, and hopes they survive the survival shebang. Jasmine asks if this is the worst it’s ever been with Christy. Elena says it is, and she’s tired of trying to help fix Christy’s relationships, but it’s about second chances, so they should give her another one.

In her interview, Terra says she has no idea who her dancing partner is going to be. She’s nervous about their reaction to her being a little person. Tonya and Joe are there for support. I don’t know any of the Dancing with the Stars people. I only watched it once when Mel B was competing, and as soon as she was cut, I was out. It’s Sasha. Terra is excited to be dancing with him. She says he danced with Snookie a few seasons back, and although she’s super short, it won’t be the same. She asks Sasha if he’s scared, but he says he’s brimming with ideas. Tonya thinks the biggest hurdle will be getting everyone over their preconceived notions of what a little person can do.

Terra brings up having just had a C-section, and Sasha says her health is a priority. If she has any pain or feels any weirdness, let him know immediately. He seems like a really nice guy.

Christy runs on the treadmill while Todd watches. In her interview, Christy says a little person’s stomach is the same size as an average sized person’s, so dieting is hard. She wants to buy a treadmill for the house in hopes that Todd will use it too. It scares her that she’s never seen an old little person. Really? I’m pretty sure a lot of them get old.

She tells Todd about the retreat. Todd thinks Christy should back away from Briana since she’s obviously more invested in the relationship than Briana is. Christy says she’s known them a long time and wants ot make things right. She stands her ground about Terra having given her a concussion, and Todd tells her just don’t stand so close she gets burned. Whatever that means.

Tonya says they used to lean on each other for support against an average sized world, but now their group has fallen apart. As soon as Terra sees Christy, she suggests taking out the bug spray, so we’re off to a good start. Instructor Joel shows up, and Elena suggests a last trip to the nice bathroom before they leave. In her interview, Terra says if Christy gets out of hand, it might turn into a real survival situation.

Joel asks what they’re hoping to get out of it. Elena talks about rebuilding the group, and he says that team exercises are good for that. He starts with shelter building and asks Tonya to pick the two groups. He asks who is uncomfortable with who, and Terra says because of legal issues, she refuses to be paired with Christy. So it’s Elena, Christy and Jasmine, and Tonya, Terra and Briana. Jasmine says Christy is on the wrong team for rebuilding relationships.

In her interview, Christy says if Terra and Briana don’t want to be on her team, they’re being childish. Tonya asks Briana and Terra what it would take for them to forgive Christy. Terra says pay her legal bills for one. Since Christy messed with her family, she hates her, and she knows that’s a strong word. Briana says Christy got way out of line with her, and she just can’t be friends again. Tonya heaves a huge sigh. Huge.

With shelter building completed, Sean moves on to fire. He wants them to put mud from the creek on their faces. Elena says the only mud going on her face is from the spa and Jasmine passes because she’s pregnant. Jasmine helps put mud on Terra’s face. She says the team building isn’t working very well.

Joel thinks it would be beneficial if they write down what’s bothering them. Later, they’ll read them and put the problems to rest. Everyone hesitates and Tonya makes me laugh, saying don’t everybody run for the pencils at once. Joel takes them to the fire pit and makes fire in like two seconds. Jasmine thinks it looks easy. I think it’s probably like watching Gene Kelly dance – it looks effortless, but you try it. Jasmine wonders if they’re struggling because they’re little people. Nice try. Two hours later, Terra has success.

They sit around the campfire and Joel says they’re there to rekindle, so get on with the letters. Tonya goes first, telling them to stop being sensitive and stay in their lanes. Everyone claps and she throws it in the fire. Christy tells Briana that there was a lot of name calling and mistrust, but it’s not in her character. She talks about her father having cancer and her daughter being ill, and says that’s why she’s been acting so crazy. In her interview Briana says Christy is rehashing what happened, but no apology came forth. Briana tells Christy that she was on her deathbed, and Christy made a snowball effect that’s irreparable, adding that she still didn’t get an apology. Christy says she can’t control Briana’s family being a-holes. Elena says Christy is side-stepping her part, and Briana feels like she can’t trust Christy anymore.

Christy says she gave Briana’s parents an update because she cares about her. Briana says she’s had death threats and is now looking into getting a gun. She says it’s about overstepping boundaries. Christy claims she’s alone and needs support, and Briana felt the same way. Christy apologizes. Briana says she’s moving forward with the positive in her own life, but she’s done with Christy. Elena thinks she should forgive. Tonya says it’s going to take time, and brings up Terra. Terra says that she was going to apologize to Christy for the iced tea fight, and then found out she needed to lawyer up because Christy filed a police report. Christy says they were both hurt. She goes on about how she’s had concussions before, but she had a recent one and has the medical records to prove it.

Christy says she’s sick of talking sh*t and wants to move forward. Terra says she does too, but Jasmine tells her that she’s not exactly moving on. Elena says it doesn’t look like forgiveness is going to happen on Terra’s part. Terra says she is sorry she refused to be in a group with Christy. She says she’s sorry she responded immaturely. She’s done fighting, but wants everyone to respect that some things cant be fixed. If she’s the broken link in the chain of their group, she wants them to accept it. Tonya says when someone breaks your heart, it can take a long time to mend. In her interview, Terra says the girls need to accept she doesn’t want to be friends with Christy. Terra tells the group that she doesn’t want to prevent them doing things together, but she still doesn’t want to be friends and doesn’t want it brought up again. She feels that it’s something that can’t be fixed.

Next time, the ladies take a defense class, Tonya has Lasik eye surgery, Angelique brings her boyfriend home, and Dancing with the Stars rehearsal begins.

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Sonny sees Morgan as a child running around the house, playing hide and seek. Morgan disappears and Sonny finds a tiny shoe. Nell asks him if he’s all right and he wakes up.

Hayden decides to make a deal with Evan. He suggests going to his room. She asks if he has a mini bar and tells him to lead the way.

A coughing Finn tells Tracy he’s okay, but she says that she hasn’t seen him this bad in a while. He says he needs to adjust his treatment regimen and gets distracted by Hayden leaving with Evan.

Maxie tells Nathan they saw what Claudette wanted them to see. She has Charlotte listen to the soundtrack from Frozen while they talk. Maxie says Claudette isn’t exactly known for telling the truth. Nathan wonders why she would lie and what she expects to get out of it. Is Nathan really this dense? Maxie says him.

You’d never know it the way she’s going at it with Griff. Half-naked. In the middle of the gym. Griff breaks away and says he can’t.

Nathan says there’s no way the results could be falsified. Maxie says she got a sample from Charlotte’s juice box, but they don’t know what it was Claudette gave them. She says how do they know it was really a sample from Charlotte? He says the results said they were related. Who else could it be? Wait for it…

Obrecht is talking to Ava at the bar. They discuss Morgan’s death. Obrecht says Morgan’s treatment obviously wasn’t working properly. If it had, he never would have gotten in the car. It was the medication failure that really killed him.

Hayden gets to Evan’s room and he’s ready to get busy. She wants a libation to get her in the mood. He throws several mini bottles on the bed for her. He says too much of a good thing leads to not enough of a good thing, so he’s passing. She doesn’t want to drink alone, so he guzzles one.

Finn asks if Tracy saw Hayden. Tracy says she was too busy worrying about him. Finn says that Hayden got in the elevator with the tool. Tracy says they’re consenting adults, but Finn says Hayden might do something she regrets. Tracy asks if that’s a problem for him.

Nell gives Sonny some aspirin. He’s been sleeping in a chair, and she thinks he might be less restless in his own bed. He says he might as well stay awake, since he’ll only dream. Nell talks about her best friend who she drove to a party. When her friend was ready to leave, Nell was didn’t want to, so she got a ride home from someone. They’d been drinking, crashed the car and her friend was killed. She wonders what life would be like if she’d stuck by her but what good does it do? She still dreams about it, and her thinking isn’t the same. Sonny says he saw Morgan as a little boy. He said, “Daddy, come find me,” and Sonny couldn’t find him.

Ava says Obrecht might be on to something. They’ll never know if tragedy could have been avoided; it will remain a mystery. Obrecht says Morgan’s mother will want answers, so maybe not. She says Carly could have the medication tested. She’ll have Andre’s head and Sonny will bury it. Ava has to leave and calls Scotty in the hallway. She tells him where her will is, just in case. She says she’s on her way to deal with an urgent matter and it’s possible she might not come back alive.

Nathan asks Maxie to watch Charlotte. He’s going to see Griff. He’s the most likely candidate, and if anyone can get the truth, it’s him.

Griff says sorry. Claudette says she isn’t, and enough with his promises to God. She tells him to stop lying to himself and denying himself. He already turned from the church to her. She suggests they run away together.

Evan wants to get the party started, but Hayden says she’s not comfortable until he does his half of the deal. He says chicks always want the money up front. She says she’s not doing this or this – although we don’t see what she’s doing – ha-ha! – until it happens, and he says he’ll get his checkbook. I guess this and this was pretty good.

Tracy tells Finn to intervene, but he says Hayden will get the wrong idea. Tracy says he’s resisting the urge to play hero, which she thinks is the right call. She says Hayden is a big girl, but she wants him to do what makes him happy. If he doesn’t find a cure, his time is limited, so he can spend it on intervening in other people’s lives or save himself. If he focuses on the latter, he’ll have time for the former.

Evan writes a check and gives it to Hayden. She wants to go deposit it immediately, but he stops her. He says it’s time for her to pay up. And why wouldn’t she think of the possibility of him stopping payment if she doesn’t come back?

Nell says Avery is asleep, so if it helps, she can keep Sonny company. He says he’s fine and she’s done enough. She says he doesn’t have to go through this alone. Jason and Kristina called and there are a lot of people who care. He says if he can’t be with Carly, he wants to be alone. Nell leaves.

Finn looks at the bill on Evan’s table and finds the room number. He goes upstairs and bursts in the door.

The doorbell rings as Sonny is looking at pictures. It’s Ava.

Maxie calls Obrecht, telling her it’s an emergency and she needs to come over right now. Obrecht says she’s on her way.

Griff says he’s not thinking clearly, and Claudette says it’s because he’s being someone he isn’t meant to be. They can be together now, so why don’t they try it. He asks about leaving Charlotte and she says she doesn’t want to leave her, but she’s safer with her father. Nathan is standing there and says, but he’s not her father, Griff is.

Ava wants ot see Avery. She’s concerned because she called and a strange girl answered, telling her Sonny wouldn’t come to the phone. He says he doesn’t feel like talking, especially to her. She says she’s sorry about Morgan, and he says she’s the worst thing that happened to him. He tells her he tolerates her for Avery’s sake, but not tonight. She says whatever conflict he has with Julian isn’t with her; she’s out of that life for Avery’s sake. She asks about taking Avery temporarily, but he says no. She asks where Carly is and he tells her, not here. She asks if Carly left him.

Evan is passed out, and Finn asks what happened. Finn asks if Evan hurt her, but she says he was on the verge of passing out two vodkas ago. She wants Finn to help her get Evan into bed. If he thinks they didn’t do the deed, he might cancel the check.

Maxie asks Obrecht to watch Charlotte for a while. She’s excited, but Maxie tells her don’t get too attached, because Claudette lied again and Nathan isn’t the father.

Nathan tells Claudette and Griff about Maxie getting Charlotte retested. He figured out on the way there that the hair was from his mother. He says Claudette knew a test was coming eventually, and it explains why the test shows they share DNA when it’s a lie. Griff says Claudette wouldn’t stoop so low and Nathan says, oh yes she would. Claudette admits she took the hair from Obrecht’s brush and Griff is the father.

Ava says Sonny won’t make it through this without Carly. She says she hates to admit it, but Avery needs both of them, especially now with her family on the verge of fracture. She says hold on to Carly, or do whatever he needs to get her back, for Avery and for Morgan. It’s what he would have wanted.

Obrecht says Nathan is the father, there was a test. Maxie says Claudette fooled everyone, except her. She had her own test done. She says she’s sorry, but it’s not true. Obrecht says she’ll make Claudette regret she was born. Maxie says she needs her to babysit right now. She’ll be back as soon as she can.

Nathan asks why Claudette did this. What satisfaction does she get from stepping on his heart and what did he ever do to her? She says she needed his help. They were married once and he loved her. so she took a gamble that he’d love Charlotte. She says if Valentin knew Griff was Charlotte’s father, he’d go after him. She knew Nathan could protect her. Claudette says she knows he doesn’t believe it, but she’s sorry. She asks if Griff wants to meet his daughter.

Hayden shows Finn the check and says it’s for funding. He asks if she was going to sleep with this idiot for him? She says no, she only wanted him to think that. Boys always think they can out drink her. She asks him again to help her get Evan into the bed. Finn says there’s not enough hand sanitizer in the world, but helps anyway. She better take off Evan’s pants or he won’t think they did anything. She sets the stage and says when he comes to, he’ll think she gave him the night of his life. She says Finn should cash the check asap though. Finn is full of what ifs. Hayden asks how he found her and if he was following her. He says he saw the room number on the bar bill and she asks why he’s there. He says he was worried about her. She says what would have happened if he came in and found them together, and what’s it to him?

Hayden says she knows the real reason he came. He thought she was going to have sex with that jerk and was going to stop it, but she stopped all by herself. She says he thinks if she’s going to have sex with anyone, it’s him, and he’s not dead yet. She gets him laughing, and asks if they’re moving because the room is spinning. They sit on the floor.

Nathan comes back and says Charlotte has been though enough already, so be gentle. Obrecht tells Claudette she owes her some answers. Nathan asks why Obrecht is there, and she says Maxie told her everything. She’s babysitting because Maxie had something urgent.

Maxie goes to Claudette’s place. There’s no answer, even though music is blasting, so she lets herself in with a bootleg key, thanks to Spinelli. She calls out for Claudette. She wants a word with Claudette’s lying, piece of trash self. A bearded guy comes out of the other room.

Claudette introduces Charlotte to Griff. This child is going to be seriously confused. When they wrote that kids book about having two daddies, I don’t think this is what they meant.

Maxie apologizes, and starts to leave, but bearded guy grabs her from behind.

Sonny says Ava is the last person who should be speaking for Morgan. She says she can speak for Avery, and Sonny needs space to grieve and has to get on with the business of healing, so he can be there for his daughter. He says she’s got five minutes with Avery and then he doesn’t want to see her again. She goes upstairs.

Ava sneaks into Morgan’s room. She looks at his pills and takes one the bottles, She drops it and it rolls under the bed. She gets on the floor to retrieve it and when she gets up, Nell is there. If she’s smart, she’ll tell Sonny what Obrecht told her about the medication, and say she was going to have it tested.

Tomorrow, Carly tells Sonny that she’ll always love him, Nell wants to know what Ava is doing, and Claudette wants Charlotte out of Port Charles.

Little Women: LA

Terra is still upset about the baby name. She thinks Joe changed his mind because of other people’s influence. She feels like they made a mistake naming the baby Grayson. She wants D’Artagnan in there somewhere. Joe agrees to it as a middle name.

Maverick is six weeks old and not showing any signs of the heath issues that can come with dwarfism. Briana talks to Matt about Christy wanting to apologize. Even though Christy  wasn’t invited to the sip and see, Elena and Jasmine made her a topic of conversation. Matt doesn’t think Christy has a sincere bone in her body, but Briana is torn. Christy is friends with Briana’s friends, and she thinks that she should confront her for the sake of the group.

Terra is managing two babies while packing for the move, and hanging on to what’s left of her sanity. Elena comes over for a visit. Terra tells her about the D’Artagnan issue. Elena says no one else has to like it. Terra tells Elena about her Dancing with the Stars gig. Elena is like, you just left the hospital, but Terra is more concerned about dancing with an average sized person. Elena is supportive.

Elena tells Terra about the sip and see, and how Christy wasn’t invited, but they discussed her while they were there. She says she met with Christy later, but it didn’t go well. We flash back to that. Elena says Christy is desperate to defend herself and she forgives her, but it will be harder with the others. She tells Terra about how Christy wished she hadn’t gone to the police or Briana’s family, and now wants to apologize to everyone.

Dawn (from Little Women NY) visits Christy. No surprise they’re friends. Oh ho! She was behind the police report filing. They’re getting a massage and Christy tells Dawn about her apology tour and shows her an invite to a casino get together. Dawn asks why she felt compelled to highlight her medical records in the slot machine graphic. In her interview, Christy says no one wants to believe she had a concussion. She says she’ll apologize about everything, but she also deserves an apology. Dawn wants to know if she’s including the medical records to prevent people from coming, and asks what makes Christy think things will go smoothly. Dawn says she’ll be there for support, but thinks Christy has a lot of hatchets buried and has run out of olive branches.

Elena and Preston bring the twins for a photo session. The photos are beautiful, but they’re a seriously good-looking family. Elena can’t believe how fast the babies are growing. Elena discusses genetic testing for the babies with Preston. She wants to put her fears to rest, or at least know what she’s dealing with. She thinks it’s time to find out.

Jasmine and Briana go shopping. Jasmine is looking for a bassinet. Jasmine asks if Briana got Christy’s invitation to the casino. Briana says yes, and she feels bi-polar about it. In her interview, she says she was ready to give Christy another chance, but calling Terra out with the medical records makes her wonder what’s in store for her. She says she’s disgusted with Christy as a person. She understands where Jasmine is coming from in wanting peace, but Christy hurt her deeply, and she doesn’t want Christy to think they’re cool if she goes. In her interview, Jasmine thinks Briana shouldn’t throw away the friendship, especially since she could forgive Matt. Well, that’s a little different. She doesn’t sleep with Christy.

It’s move-in day! Joe has left for a gig (geez, thanks Joe – nice planning), and Tonya comes to the new house to help. Tonya asks if the movers are going to help unpack and place the furniture, since it would be difficult for the two of them. Before Terra investigates this, Tonya asks if she got Christy’s invitation. Terra says she’s proud of how classy Christy was to include her medical information. They talk about Christy having been in abusive relationships, and Terra says there’s no indication as to when she got a concussion. In her interview, Terra says she’s surprised Christy can get one since she has such a thick skull. BA-DUM-CHH! Terra has no intention of being her friend again, and says Christy is never going to see the baby or come to her new house.

Jasmine and Elena get ready for casino night. Jasmine says Christy has made a lot of mistakes. Elena is tired of the group being split. Jasmine thinks Briana and Terra are being stubborn. Jasmine thinks Christy has a lot of apologizing to do, but is puzzled as to why she’d put her medical records on the invitation. Because she’s stupid that way, that’s why. Elena says their conversation was about fixing things, not digging them up. She says they can only do so much and Christy has to do the rest.

Besides Dawn, Christy has invited two other friends, Karla and Rhonnie, who reminds me of New York from Flavor of Love, or what I used to call The Big Ass Clock Man Show. Even though she doesn’t know anything about it, Rhonnie says the other girls bully Christy and Karla says Christy is the best person in the world. Elena arrives first and is irritated that Christy invited Dawn. She thinks Christy is just trying to start drama again. Tonya joins them. She’s annoyed at seeing Dawn too. She doesn’t think it’s going to be a fun girls night out apology time. Elena wins at Blackjack, but doesn’t understand how she did it.

Rhonnie tells Tonya she seems bothered. Christy asks if Terra and Brianna are coming. Tonya says Terra thought her invitation was condescending and isn’t going to be there. In her interview, Christy is glad, because it proves she made the right decision. This girl is what Dr. Phil calls a “right fighter.” She only cares about proving her point. Rhonnie tries to cause problems, criticizing the way Tonya delivered the message. In her interview, Tonya says Rhonnie needs to stay in her lane.

Elena tells Christy that Briana feels that Christy’s intentions aren’t genuine. Karla asks if anyone cares about Christy’s feelings. Jasmine says she should ask Briana about that. Karla thinks they’re going behind Christy’s back and starts telling Jasmine how she should behave. Jasmine says she tried to get Briana there, but she chose not to come. Karla says everything is going to turn back on her, making everyone uncomfortable.

Tonya asks Jasmine and Elena if they want to play the slots. In her interview, Christy wonders how she can fix things if they don’t want to stick around. She might try actually fixing things instead of starting more things. Elena says she spent too much time trying to convince Christy to apologize and reconnect, and Christy brought other people to start more sh*t. Tonya says they’ve been bamboozled again.

Christy doesn’t understand. Rhonnie says it was like follow the leader when Tonya wanted to go. She says Christy could sprout wings and a halo and they still wouldn’t like her. She says Tonya was talking trash about saying hell would have to freeze over for Terra to show up, when she’d said something different before. Dawn thinks they should confront her.

Tonya, Jasmine and Elena go for a drink. Jasmine texts Christy to try and smooth things over before it gets out of control. All of them show up at the girls’ table. Tonya says they just wanted to talk to Christy, and the night wasn’t what they thought it was going to be. Jasmine says she didn’t understand the medical report. Christy asks why they think she’s a liar. Tonya says she embellishes. Dawn says Christy proved she had a concussion, and Tonya says she thinks it’s from an abusive ex. Dawn sticks her humongous-for-a-little-person nose in it, and Tonya wonders why she’s there.

Christy pulls out some more medical documents. Tonya asks why she brought them, and suggests they move on. Jasmine and Elena are pissed off, because Christy said she was over it. Christy says she doesn’t see how they can understand her side when they won’t acknowledge she’s right. (See? What did I say?) She says it’s like they’re wearing blinders. Tonya says the person she needs to prove something to isn’t there. She brings up Christy bringing Plastic to the photo shoot. This will never, ever be forgotten. Christy says she brought other friends to the casino because she felt alone. Tonya says she’s invited Christy everywhere, but she’s burning her bridges with all of them.

Rhonnie asks what the problem is with them being there. Tonya says she doesn’t know them and Dawn encouraged Christy pressing charges. Christy thinks they should go around the table and say sorry. I’ll just bet that when she was a drinker, she was one of those people who says, “we were all drunk,” when they were the drunk who created the mess the night before. Rhonnie says she doesn’t think Christy owes anyone an apology. Tonya says she wasn’t there. Christy just wants to move on. Elena says Christy claimed her apology was going to be so good, everyone would cry. That still might happen. Elena says she doesn’t need any apology, but why doesn’t Christy start with ruining Tonya’s photo shoot?

Christy says she’s sorry for what she said to Tonya. Tonya is like, I didn’t come here for all of this. Karla tries to get involved, but Tonya shuts her down. She says she’s not blaming Christy for anything. Everyone starts yelling at once. Elena wants to know why they’re wasting their time, and why are these strangers getting involved? Good question. Jasmine says it’s between them. Rhonnie talks about Tonya making comments when they were playing Blackjack. Tonya says she was having a private conversation. Rhonnie tells her she should have it somewhere private then. Tonya gets loud and Elena tries to intervene. The argument culminates with Karla calling Tonya a @#$%^& bitch. Tonya says she’ll do what she wants.

To be continued…

Next time, Terra refuses to be in Christy’s life anymore, Terra is worried about the height difference on Dancing with the Stars, and the girls go on a survivalist retreat. Oh, swell.
