General Hospital

Carly thanks Sam for dragging her to yoga class, and Sam says, at least it wasn’t kicking and screaming. Carly says she needed to come to clear her mind, and Sam says, hopefully she’ll be able to find some serenity in here. Nina walks in with Maxie, and Carly says, so much for that.

At Charlie’s with Nikolas and Spencer, Esme says she keeps playing it over and over in her head. If Nikolas and Victor hadn’t shown up when they did, who knows what Sonny would have done to her? Spencer still can’t believe his Uncle Sonny had her kidnapped, and she says, really? Here she was betting he thought she deserved it. We see a man at one of the tables looking at the Invader article, and then at them.

Scotty says, here’s what happens today. Trina makes a plea, the ADA will recommend bail. Of course (🍷) he’ll argue against it as to why she should be free, and the judge will decide if there is bail and how much. Trina says, her plea is not guilty, and Scotty says, bingo. Portia says, sounds easy enough, and Curtis says, Trina will be out of here before she knows it,

Alicia says, well? and Alexis says, they’re trending. She knew this would do well, but the AP wire’s picked it up and it’s gone national. It’s huge. They high-five.

In the moss bowl🎍less kitchen, Josslyn asks if Cameron has seen the article, and he says, it’s hard not to. It feels like it’s everywhere. She says, that’s probably because it is. How does he feel about that?

At the MetroCourt, Willow tells Diane, they don’t want this to escalate, and Michael says, for a lot of reasons. His family has enough to deal with right now. Their focus should be on Josslyn. He’s also worried the charges could hurt them, particularly him if Nina petitions for visitation. Diane says, they can and they will.

Maxie asks if Nina wants to take a different class, but Nina says she won’t be scared off, not by Carly or anyone else. They sit, and so do Sam and Carly on the other side of the room. Carly says she hates that she sees Nina everywhere she goes. It’s like that thing at the carnival when you whack a mole and it pops up in another hole. Sam says they can leave if she wants, but Carly says, hell no. She’s staying right here. She’s not going to let that bitch run her out of here.

Spencer says, of course (🍷) he doesn’t think Esme deserved to be kidnapped, but she says, his track record of siding with other people against her lately is pretty strong. He says he likes his Uncle Sonny, but does he always condone Sonny’s actions? No. She says, he was so angry and threatening, and Nikolas says, considering Sonny believes she took that video of Josslyn and Cameron, he’s not surprised. She asks, what else has to happen for people to believe it wasn’t her? The police made an arrest. Nikolas asks if Spencer heard the latest, and Spencer says he went to see Trina. Esme says, of course (🍷) he did. So when she was being hauled off by some goon to face the wrath of his beloved uncle, Spencer was professing his undying devotion to Trina? Spencer says, that’s not what… and she says, that’s just great. She gets up, and says she hopes they’ll be very happy, but Spencer says, if Esme would let him get a word in, she’d know he told Trina that he believes her.

Molly says hi to Curtis, and he gives her a hug. He says he was wondering if she was going to be the ADA for the case, and she says she’s working under ADA Arden, but yes. She hopes this isn’t too awkward; her prosecuting Portia’s daughter. He says she’s doing her job, he gets it, and she says, she has to admit she was surprised to see Trina was the defendant. She seems like such a good person. He says, she is, so he has faith justice will prevail. He says he has to go back in, gives her a quick kiss on the cheek, and leaves.

Scotty says, there’s a possible plea deal coming. He spoke to his man in the DA’s office, but nothing’s been decided yet. Arden comes in, and Scotty says, oh damn. He asks, what’s going on? He thought Miss Lansing-Davis was prosecuting the case. Arden says she’s sure he was counting on that. Molly is second chair in this trial, but she’s prosecuting. She suggests his client take the deal she’s about to offer.

Nina asks why Molly keeps staring at Carly and Sam, and Maxie asks if she can’t feel it. You can cut the tension with a knife. She’s thankful they don’t have any of those, because the last thing they need right now are weapons. Nina asks her, please try and relax, and Maxie says, that’s the idea, but this is beyond cringy. Nina says, for who? and Maxie says, her. Nina says she’s sorry. She hadn’t thought about how difficult this was for Maxie. Maxie says, point taken. Change of topic. How’s visitation going with Wiley? She’s been so busy with the Deception IPO, she’s lost track of what’s going on. Nina says, her goal is to avoid involving the courts, and Maxie says, so Michael and Willow are letting her visit with Wiley? Nina says, not quite, but she may have found someone who can change that.

Harmony goes to Alexis’s office, and says she hopes Alexis doesn’t mind that she just dropped by. Things felt a little unsettled… Alexis says, yeah, when Harmony forgot to tell her that she’d already been in her house, indoctrinating her daughter. Harmony says she’s so sorry, for what she did to Kristina, and for not telling Alexis, especially after she’s been so kind to let Harmony into her home. So if Alexis wants her to leave… Alexis says she understands that Harmony’s past has been problematic, but in the present, she needs to be forthright from now on. Harmony says, okay, and Alexis says, Harmony can stay at the house until she finds something that’s right for her. Harmony says she hopes it won’t take that long, and as soon as she saves up for a deposit, she’ll be out of Alexis’s hair; she promises. She thanks Alexis, and Alexis says, it’s a good thing she’s feeling generous today. Harmony takes it the article was a success, and Alexis says, actually, it was. She thinks she might be getting her groove back in her second act. She hasn’t felt this good since before she fell off the wagon. Harmony flashes back to injecting Neil, and says she’s just happy that Alexis’s troubles are a thing of the past. Finally. Alexis asks why she has the feeling Harmony’s troubles aren’t.

Michael says he was defending his sister. Does Diane think a judge will hold that against him? She says, depends on the judge, but worrying about it at this juncture is premature. Nina has yet to even file a petition for visitation. He says he wants to be prepared in case she does, and Diane says, Nina’s legal counsel could use the assault charge to argue that Nina will provide a more stabilizing influence for Wiley, and Michael says, what? She says, considering he’s prone to punching reporters, and defense attorneys. Willow says, Scott never pressed charges for that, and Michael says, there are piles of evidence that prove Nina is anything but stable. Diane says, they could also use it to impugn his character, casting Nina in an even more sympathetic light. He says, Nina let everyone believe his father was dead. What rational person would have sympathy for her after that? Diane says, this is all moot, because she has a plan to make it all go away.

Carly takes a deep breath, and says, it’s not working. Every time she closes her eyes, she sees Josslyn’s face. Sam says she reread the article, and she’s super impressed with Joss and Cam’s bravery, and Carly says, her too. All the credit goes to Sam’s mom. That article really struck a chord with people; it’s trending everywhere. Sam asks if that’s a good thing, and Carly says, yes and no. Yes, because it’s telling Josslyn and Cam’s side of the story, but it’s also shining a bigger light on them, so when are they getting back to their normal lives? Sam asks if Carly has talked to Joss, but Carly says, Josslyn was asleep when she left for work this morning. Josslyn texted her though, and she sounds strong. Sam says, like mother, like daughter. She’s going to be okay.

Cameron asks if it’s just him, or does it feel like they’re living under a microscope? She says, it’s not just him; her phone’s been blowing up. He says, reporters asking for follow-up statement? and she says, oh yeah, and she thinks she’s decided never to leave the house again. Not until this whole thing dies down. He tells her that he could say, I told you so, and she says, but he won’t? He says, this is exactly why he didn’t want to do the interview, and she says she still thinks the good outweighs the bad. How’d that thing at school go? Did he get the issue resolved with the registrar? He says, yeah. He hates that they have to be back in public. All those people whispering and staring. She says she made herself stop reading all comments on social media. It’s insane. After all of their transparency, people still think they know their experience better than they do. It’s messed up. He says, there are a few good moments though. This girl came up to him on campus, and said she admired them. Josslyn says she did see a handful of comments saying they were respected for calling attention to the issue. Some women even said they might want to share their stories. He says, that’s really cool. He guesses he’s not huge on the extra attention they’ve been getting, but in the end, he thinks they made the right decision. She says, it’s her turn to say, I told you so, and he says, it’s still hard. She says she knows, but she thinks she should focus on the positive, and ignore most of the negative. Things will get easier. He says, he’s game, and she says, now that the article’s out, they have something to praise themselves for. They took a lot of control back. He takes her hand, and says, this will not define us for the rest of our lives. She says, they won’t let it.

Diane says, the could try offering something to Smoltz (correct spelling – my bad) in exchange for dropping the charges, and Michael says, like? She says, like him, or someone close to him, providing information for one of Smoltz’s stories. Michael says he’d be down for that, as long as the piece isn’t damaging to his family, and Diane says, of course (🍷) not. Let her brainstorm with Alexis, and they’ll see what bait they can dangle before Smoltz. She’ll be in touch. She leaves, and Michael tells Willow that he’s sorry. She says, why? and he says, for jeopardizing their ability to block Nina from Wiley. She says, he doesn’t know that, and he says, it’s a pretty good assumption. She says, even if he has, there’s zero reason to apologize. She loves that he stood up for Josslyn. That he’s protective of his family is one of the things that made her fall for him. He says, one of the things? Is she saying there’s more? She says, many, and he says he’d love to hear them. She asks if he wants a list, and he says, whatever form she chooses. She asks how much time he has, and he says, for her – he kisses her hand – forever.

Harmony tells Alexis that she’s going to see Willow and Michael, and she’s been thinking about Nina’s request. Alexis says, to convince Michael and Willow to allow visitation? and Harmony says, yeah. She decided to help Nina. Alexis says, she advised Harmony not to do that, so why is she entertaining that? Harmony says she feels bad for Nina. She’s had so much loss. If she can help Nina by being kind, shouldn’t she? Alexis says, that’s very generous; not smart, but generous. Harmony says she doesn’t want Willow to hate her, but Alexis says, she’s not going to hate Harmony. She’s not going to like it, but Willow’s not going to hate her. It’s not going to tank Harmony’s relationship with her. Harmony hopes Alexis is right, and Alexis says, Harmony needs to have some faith in her daughter. Harmony thanks her for listening, and Alexis says, anytime. Harmony says she’s happy Alexis got her life back on track. It must feel good. Alexis says, it does; it feels really good.

The man continues to look between the article, and Esme, and Esme says she’s glad Spencer stood up for her, but she can’t forget the horrible things he said. Nikolas says, it’s been a rough day. Maybe they should save this conversation for later, after everyone regroups. Esme says, it’s no use. No matter how much time Spence takes, he’s made it clear he’ll always believe the worst about her. She says she feels sick, and runs to the bathroom. Nikolas says, Spencer should try being a little gentler with her, given she might be pregnant. Spencer asks how Nikolas knows that, and Nikolas says, Victor told him. He’s worried about Spencer and Esme. Spencer says, Nikolas seems worried about Esme too, and Nikolas says he’s worried about Spencer too. Whatever’s between them, Spencer is still his son, and he wants to help him. Spencer says, Esme insisted she was innocent, swore that Trina wasn’t who she seemed. For so long he trusted Esme over everyone else. He doesn’t know why he didn’t this time. Nikolas says, that’s pretty obvious, isn’t it? He’s developed feelings for Trina.

Scotty says, let’s hear it. What’s the deal Arden has for his client? Arden says, if his client pleads guilty to the misdemeanor charge of cyber sexual harassment, they’ll drop the felony charge of unlawful surveillance, and recommend three years of probation, and a fine of $1000. This way, Trina avoids jail time. Curtis says, there’s no guarantee that the judge won’t decide to give Trina jail time anyway, and Arden says, that’s the risk you take. Trina asks what Scotty thinks, and he says he thinks the DA’s office can take this deal and shove it. Molly tells Trina, it’s a good deal. If she’s convicted of a felony, she’ll spend time in a higher security prison, not to mention she’ll lose certain civil rights. Scotty says he has to confer with his client, and Arden says, do it fast. DA Scorpio is being overly generous with his offer; it won’t be on the table for long. She and Molly walk away, and Portia says she doesn’t know about this. If Trina pleads guilty, it’s going to be on her record for the rest of her life. Let’s not forget, she’s innocent. She did not do what she’s accused of doing. That has to count for something. Curtis says, of course (🍷) it does, and Scotty asks Trina what she wants to do.   

Trina says, if she takes the plea deal, she may not have to go to jail, and Portia says, may is the operative word. She doesn’t like it at all. Curtis says he doesn’t either. On the other hand, if the judge does sentence Trina to jail time, it will be a minimum security prison. Portia says, where she’ll be serving time for a crime she didn’t do, and Scotty says, unfortunately, that’s not the way it works. She could be spending a year in Pentenville. Portia says, no way, and Trina says, if she pleads not guilty, and she’s found guilty for a felony, that’s more jail time. Scotty says, it could be two to five years and/or probation, but time likely served in Pentenville. Trina asks why he said to shove the deal, and he says, that’s the way prosecutors work. They want to get a conviction. They don’t want to go to trial. It costs too much money and time, and they don’t know what the outcome is going to be. So they start tacking on all these other charges, and present a shiny deal and it looks good in comparison. He’s seen all the evidence, and it’s not airtight. He can almost guarantee the jury will come back with not guilty. Trina says, almost, and he says, that’s the rub, kid. Curtis tells Trina, let’s not think about this in terms of guarantees. Think about what she feels comfortable with, and the outcome she can live with.

Cameron says, they found the phone in Trina’s backpack, but Josslyn says she doesn’t care what they found. Trina would never do that to them, but she knows somebody who would. He says, Esme, and Josslyn says, she’s good; she’ll give her that. She framed Trina perfectly. She could literally kill Esme. He says, please don’t. He can’t bear her serving jail time. She says, can he imagine how scared Trina must be? She’s all by herself; she’s accused of something she didn’t do. The look on her face when they arrested Trina, she can’t get it out of her head. Cameron asks if Trina’s arraignment isn’t today. They should go. Josslyn asks if he’s sure. There’ll be reporters everywhere. He says, they can deal with that. Their friend is more important. She says she’ll drive.

Willow tries to hide a yawn, and Michael says, he saw that. She says, sorry. She was up late studying. He asks if she’s okay. Does she need to get checked out? They can always reschedule with her mom. She says, the only medicine she needs is what she sees, and he says, and food. She says, don’t worry; she learned her lesson. No more skipping meals for this girl. She’s taking much better care of herself. He says, good, because he doesn’t know what he’d do if anything happened to her. Don’t make him find out. She says she won’t, and they kiss. Harmony arrives, and Willow goes to hug her. She sits down, and Michael says he wanted to thank her for helping Willow out the other night. She says, of course (🍷). She’d do anything for her daughter.

Sam says she’s in fear of Scout growing up, and Carly says, it’s hard. You want to teach them to be mindful of all the dangers in the world, but at the same time, you want to encourage them to be open and fearless. Sam says, talk about walking a tightrope, and Carly says, totally. Sam says she wants Scout to be smart with her choices, but doesn’t want to scare her. Carly says, you’d think with all the progress they’ve made, they wouldn’t have to worry about that, but just ask Josslyn. It’s like society has found new ways to be cruel. Sam hopes Scout is half as tough as Joss, and she’ll be a happy mom. Carly says Sam has nothing to worry about, and she’s a great mom.

Maxie says, Nina asked Harmony to help her with Wiley? and Nina says, she’s Willow’s mother. Maxie says, and from what she understands, they’re not on the best of terms, but Nina says, that’s changing. Harmony and Willow are working on repairing their relationship. Maxie asks if Nina thinks Harmony lobbying for her seeing Wiley is the best idea. It seems risky to ask her to go against her own kid. Nina says she’s thought about all of that, but she’s running out of options. If Harmony doesn’t come through for her, her only choice will be to go the legal route. She and Carly exchange looks.

Nikolas says, this is going to complicate stuff. Has Spencer even had a chance to process what pregnancy would mean? Spencer says, it means he would be a father. They don’t know if Esme is pregnant yet. Nikolas says, what he does know is Esme is afraid. When he drove her back from Sonny’s office, she was shaking the whole time. That can’t be good for a baby. Spencer says, if there is a baby. There’s been so much hurt and distrust between them. Nikolas says, he understands that. He’s not even saying they should get back together, but he does think Spencer has to find a way to navigate this, and Spencer says he’s open to suggestions. The man looks at Alexis’s profile as editor-in-chief,

Alexis says she’s proud of Josslyn and Cameron, and Diane says, and Alexis too. Nicely done, Miss Editor-in-Chief. Alexis says, it was a labor of love, and Diane says she could tell. Alexis asks if Diane came all the way over here to tell her how great she is; she’s not complaining. Diane says, actually, she needs Alexis’s help. Does she have a minute for her bestie?

Trina wonders if she can go to the hallway, and clear her head for a minute, and Curtis asks the officer if Trina can go stretch her legs. The officer says, he’ll take her, and Portia says she’ll come, but Trina says, she loves Portia, and appreciates her being here, but… Portia says she wants to be alone, and Trina says, as alone as she can be. The officer says, it’ll be like he’s invisible, and I have thoughts of them being a couple. Trina asks if that’s okay with Portia, and Portia says, of course (🍷); whatever Trina needs. Trina goes out with the officer, and Portia asks Curtis, what is going on right now? Plea deals, prison time. The only thing Trina should be worrying about as a freshman is where she’s going for spring break, not dealing with all this. He says he knows, but everything will be fine because Trina has her, and he’s here for Portia any way she needs him. She says she loves him, and he says he loves her too. She’s got this. They hug

In the hallway, Josslyn says, Trina, and Cameron asks if she needs some extra company. Trina asks what they’re doing here, and Josslyn says, where else would they be? Trina says she thought they wanted to keep a low a profile, but Cameron says, not today, and they have a three-way hug.

Willow says, she keeps telling herself there’s no reason to worry. It’s not like Nina has filed a petition yet, but it’s hard not to. Harmony asks if she thinks Nina’s changed her mind about taking them to court; that she’s realized being at odds with them isn’t the best strategy. Michael says, if Nina feels that’s the only way to see Wiley, it’s just a matter of time, and Harmony says, it’s so awful, thinking about Wiley in the middle of all this; this family fighting over him. Willow says, they hate it too. Of course (🍷) they’ll shield him as much as possible. Harmony says, but he’s growing up. He’s picking up on everything now. Willow says, basically a human sponge, and Harmony says, who, if Nina is ordered visitation, is going to feel the resentment between the people he loves. Michael says, that’s something they’ll deal with as it comes, and Harmony says, or not maybe. What if they granted Nina informal visitation, and they could control the terms, and Wiley would be protected from all that fighting… What? Michael says, it sounds like Harmony wants Nina to see Wiley, and Willow says, does she?

The yoga instructor says, class is going to start in a few minutes. Make sure they’ve got enough water; it gets hot in here. Carly and Sam get up, and Nina says, Carly. She heard what Josslyn’s going through, and she’s sorry. It’s horrible, but the good news is, Josslyn is tough. If anyone can handle it, she can. Carly and Sam walk out, and Maxie says, it was not terrible. Nina says, maybe there’s another way. She hasn’t tried talking to Carly about Wiley again, and Maxie says, there’s a reason for that. Nina says she knows the odds aren’t great, but for Wiley’s sake, she wants to try and keep it out of the courts. What kind of grandmother would she be if she didn’t try everything? Maxie says, just be careful. Everything is still so raw for Carly. Nina doesn’t want to make things worse. Nina asks if things can get worse, and Maxie says, yeah. Sam and Carly come back, and Nina says, here she goes. Maxie says, this is a bad idea, but Nina calls to Carly, and starts to walk over. Maxie says, abort, abort, and Nina tells Carly that she’d like to talk to her about Wiley.

Trina says, if she takes the deal, it’s her best chance of not doing jail time, but Josslyn says, Trina’s not guilty. Trina says she knows. The thought of saying she did this awful thing when she didn’t is just… Not to mention, a guilty verdict will be on her record forever. Cameron says, but if it prevents her from doing jail time, the people who matter know she’s innocent. Josslyn says she gets that line of thinking, playing it safe… Cameron says, but she disagrees, and Josslyn says, yeah. She thinks Trina should fight it. She didn’t do it, and Josslyn will testify to that. Cameron says, him as well, and Trina thanks them, but she doesn’t know how that counters the evidence. Josslyn says, planted evidence, and Trina says, it’s still enough to convince some people, and if those people are on the jury... Josslyn says, they’re here for her, no matter what she decides. The officer says, time to go back in, and Cameron says, she’s got this.

The bailiff says, all rise. The Honorable Oliver Young presiding. The judge comes in and sits down.

Spencer asks how Esme is feeling, and she says he doesn’t have to act like he cares. He says he does care. He wants to make sure she’s okay. She says, her stomach is not that great. She thinks she’ll head back to her room at Kelly’s. Hopefully, this time no one will grab her and shove her in a car. Nikolas says, Sonny won’t bother her anymore, but she says he doesn’t know that. It’s not like he doesn’t have access to the rooms. His ex-mother-in-law owns the building. If Sonny wants her, he can get to her any time. Spencer asks Nikolas if it would be all right if Esme stayed at Windymere; he’ll move back in too. She says, he would do that? and Spencer says, that way, she won’t be alone, and they can figure out next steps. He asks Nikolas, would that be okay?

Diane says, it’s about Alexis’s reporter Smoltz, and Alexis says, Smoltz is not her reporter. Diane says, Smoltz does freelance for The Invader, and Alexis says, from time to time. Diane says she’s trying to entice him into dropping the charges against Michael, and Alexis says, he came running over here to report on that incident. Diane says, personally, she thinks Michael was justified, and Alexis says she’s sure he was. Diane says, except he did punch the man, and he did it right in front of the Police Commissioner. Alexis says, so Michael’s best chance is if the charges are dropped, and Diane says, exactly. So she’s thinking is there some bait they can dangle in front of Smoltz? Perhaps a juicy story where either Michael or the Quartermaines are the source. Alexis says, what she can tell Diane about their little friend is, he’s got a big, huge ego and he’s very greedy, and he hates her because she rejected his version of Josslyn and Cameron’s story, and gave it to a responsible reporter to handle properly. Diane says, for which Josslyn and Cameron, and their respective families, she’s sure will be eternally grateful. Alexis says, it’s also unlikely that she can convince Smoltz to do anything. She’s sorry. Diane says, don’t be. Alexis’s instinct to deny that bottom feeder the story was spot on. She’ll simply have to think of a different strategy. Alexis says, she always does, and they laugh.

Harmony says she was just thinking what was best for the whole family. No long drawn out court battle for them, and Wiley would get another grandmother who loves him. Willow says she’s confused. Harmony knows the pain Nina inflicted on Wiley, on Wiley’s entire extended family. Harmony says she understands, but Michael says he doesn’t think she does. Otherwise, how could she ever trust Nina again after the things she pulled with his father, the things she said to Wiley? Willow asks if Nina asked Harmony to lobby for Wiley on her behalf, and Harmony admits she did. Nina approached her and asked her. Willow says, and she agreed, and Michael says he doesn’t believe this. Willow says Nina tried to coopt her own mother, and he says, nothing’s too low for Nina; she’s proven that. Willow says, did she actually think it would work? Did Harmony? Harmony says, her loyalty is to Willow, not Nina, and Michael says, that’s kind of questionable at this point. Harmony says she’s sorry if they thinks she acted otherwise, but Nina got her thinking that what would be in the best interest for Wiley is if they could settle it amongst themselves. That’s all. Willow says she knows what this is really about.

Carly says she’s not chatting with Nina about her grandson – Nina says, their grandson – as if Nina didn’t throw a huge grenade at her life. Nina says she was hoping they could work together when necessary, like they did with Gladys when she was upset about Sasha and Brando. Carly says, that was a very special circumstance, but Nina says, it wasn’t that different than this. They found a way to co-exist due to their shared concern for Sasha. Can’t they do the same for Wiley? Carly says, no, and Nina says, they can’t put their personal problems aside for that little boy? Why not? Carly says, because Sasha’s life wasn’t turned upside down because Nina kept her grandfather from her family. So save her concern, because she didn’t have any when she lied to Sonny, or she caused a scene at his funeral, or when she told Wiley that Nelle was his real mommy. So stop. Leave her and her family alone. Nina says Carly can’t deny they share a grandson, and Carly says, like Nina denied Sonny that Sonny had a wife and children. Nina says, Wiley is the only part of her daughter left out there in the world. Carly won’t keep him from her. She’ll be in his life, and she’s sorry if Carly and Michael have a problem with that. Carly says, look at her. She’s such the victim, acting like Carly and Michael are the issue; that they did this. She did this to herself.

Judge Young says, the defendant will rise. One count of cyber sexual harassment, one count of unlawful surveillance in the second degree. How does the defendant plead?  

Nikolas says, there’s certainly more security at Windymere than at his mother’s, let alone Kelly’s. Will Esme feel safe there? It will give her and Spencer a chance to figure things out, with both proximity and space should they need it. Spencer asks if that’s a yes, but Esme says she needs to make sure this is what Spencer wants. Spencer says, it was his idea. He wouldn’t have offered if he didn’t want to. Nikolas says, all eyes on him, and Spencer says, it is Nikolas’s home. Nikolas says, and he’s happy to share it. He thinks it’s best for the both of them right now. Esme says, then it’s settled. She and Spence will move in.

Carly says, Nina could have had a role in Wiley’s life, but at every turn she made choices that put her at odds with Wiley’s family. So if she wants to look for someone to blame, find a mirror. Nina says, it’s not about blame. It’s about this little boy, and nothing or no one will stop her from fighting for him. Carly asks if Nina hears herself. She’s not talking about Wiley like he’s a person with emotions and needs. She’s not even thinking about what’s best for Wiley. It’s about Nina, and her need to stay connected to her dead daughter, and she wants to use Wiley to make herself happy. She doesn’t give a damn about how it affects him; Carly does. Nina walks back to her mat, picks up her stuff, and says she’s leaving. Maxie says, okay. She knew this was going to happen. She follows Nina out, and Carly tells Sam, she hates Nina. She’s trying not to engage… Sam says, Nina is the one who engaged. Carly stood up for herself, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Carly thanks her, and Sam says, as an added bonus, she got Nina to leave. Now they can breathe and relax and enjoy themselves.

Willow tells Harmony that she gets it. She’s sure it hits close to home, and makes her think of all the time they lost. Harmony says, yes, it does. Being separated from your child, she wouldn’t wish that on anyone. Michael says, she does understand this situation is different, and Willow says she’s thought of Nina’s perspective, from pretty much every possible angle. But their first concern is what’s best for Wiley. Michael says, and Nina isn’t it. They can’t reach an agreement with her. Harmony says, understood, truly. She won’t bring it up again. She’s sorry. Willow says, don’t be. She had compassion for Nina too, once upon a time at least. Michael says, it must be genetic.

The man from Charlie’s goes to Alexis’s office. He says, it’s been a long time, and she says, it’s you.

Tomorrow, Spencer asks why Esme hasn’t taken the pregnancy test; Ava tells Josslyn and Cameron that they’ll have to trust her; Alexis says she never forgets a face, and Trina makes her plea.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Nina puts the necklaces together, and looks at Nathan’s picture. She asks him, what is it about their family? All the time she spent looking for her daughter, and she was right in front of her, begging to be seen. She was Nelle’s last chance. She won’t let down another child in their family. Jax knocks at her office door, and comes in. He says she hasn’t been returning his calls or texts, and asks her not to shut him out.

Jason tells Carly, it’s all set, and she asks if he thinks it’s going to work. He says, it might not be exactly what Martin wanted, but it’s what he’s getting.

The hostess at the MetroCourt slides a box over to Martin at the bar. He asks what it is, and she says, he’s Martin Grey, right? He says, maybe, and she says she’s seen him there often enough to know his name. The package was delivered for him. He opens it, and takes out a phone with a post-it note on it that says Florence.

Chase goes to Sonny’s place, and Michael answers the door with Willow. He asks if it’s official business, and Chase says it’s about his father’s funeral.

Sonny wipes down the bar at the Tan-O, and Phyllis asks how he’s doing. He says he’s kind of down, but the meds are making him feel calm; not amped up like he was. She asks if he feels more like his old self, and he says, he wouldn’t know that, because he still doesn’t know who he is.

Finn goes into an empty examining room at the hospital, and closes the blinds. He opens a briefcase and takes out a swab. He swabs his mouth, puts it in an envelope, and seals it, putting it back in the case. He takes it to the reception desk, and a tech tells him, the lab called. He wanted some tests run? He gives her the envelope with the swab, and another with Chase’s water bottle in it. He says he needs the DNA results as soon as possible, and she says, he’s got it. He turns around and sees Jackie, and walks away. She follows him, asking him to wait.

At Nathan’s grave, Britt asks if he enjoyed their little visit earlier. Her, Nina, and Maxie, all there to pay their respects. They easily could have gone down a dark path, like the three witches in Macbeth. Not that he ever struck her as a Shakespeare buff, but she thinks he knows what she means. Instead of going dark, the three of them formed kind of a sisterhood, united by their love for him. They made pact have each other’s backs, and she’ll need that, now that the dark prince seems to be on the rise. Peter shows up, and says, sorry. He didn’t know anyone was there. She mumbles, speak of the devil.

Anna says, the memories Franco received were from Drew’s life before he came to Port Charles. Valentin says, if Kirk was right, and Franco is hearing voices from the memory transfer, that means Peter knew Drew years ago, when Drew was still in the military. Anna says, if that’s true, why didn’t Peter ever say anything? and Valentin says, he doesn’t want them to know. Obviously, he’s been lying to them.

Phyllis says, Sonny still can’t remember anything? and he says, not since he woke up in the woods. She says, the fall into the river was bad enough, combine that with lack of sleep and a racing mind, no wonder his body and brain were exhausted. Maybe after a few days on the medication, when he’s rested, his memory will return. He hopes so. He doesn’t like feeling like a blank slate. Lenny comes in, and she says maybe Sonny and Lenny can look for any missing persons notices they missed at the trooper’s station, but Sonny says he doesn’t want anything to do with cops. Sonny walks off, and Lenny asks, what the hell was that?

Chase tells Michael, there will be extra cops on the streets and on the docks the day of Sonny’s funeral. Jordan wants them to know, if anyone causes trouble, the PCPD will be there to handle it. Michael says he’ll pass the message along, and excuses himself, saying he has to talk to his mom. Chase tells Willow, Michael isn’t the only reason he stopped by, and she says she didn’t think so. He says, it’s the worst timing. Michael losing his dad while they’re trying to figure things out. He says, that sounded horrible, but he misses her.

Michael tells Carly, Chase had a message from the PCPD. Jordan is going to have more police presence on the street for his dad’s funeral. It felt like a warning. Jason doesn’t think it’s a bad idea to have more police presence, but he doesn’t think there will be any trouble. Michael says, it feels surreal talking about it. He went to the site, and saw where the bridge collapsed. He knows his father is gone, but a funeral seems too final. Jason says, it feels too soon, especially since they didn’t recover Sonny’s body. Michael says, it’s not his place to say, and Carly says, it feels too soon to her too.

Britt tells Peter that she should talk to Nina about putting in a pop-up gift shop, for those making the pilgrimage there to find a piece of Nathan’s goodness to take with them. She asks if he thinks it’s too commercial, and he says he thinks it’s too tacky, but that’s not why he’s there. She asks why is he at their brother’s grave.

Anna asks why Valentin always jumps to the worst possible conclusions, and he says, Peter lying isn’t the worst possible conclusion. She says, the picture of Peter that’s coming into focus isn’t flattering, and he says they need to plot this out, and see where it leads. She says, she almost doesn’t want to, and he tells her, he says, for the purpose of this hypothetical, Franco is hearing Drew’s voice because he and Peter crossed paths while Drew was still in the military. Anna says, Drew disappeared from his post while he was stationed in Afghanistan, and Valentin says, how long between the abduction and the memory transfer? Maybe Drew and Peter interacted then. Anna says, which means Peter played more than a minor role in the crimes that were committed, and Valentin flashes back to Peter saying dead Helena was trying to expose his part in Drew’s abduction in Afghanistan. Anna wonders what Valentin isn’t telling her.

Jax tells Nina that he apologizes. He was wrong. For what it’s worth (🍷), he was protecting her. He didn’t know how to tell her that the daughter she was searching for was Nelle. What would be worse, knowing the pain Nelle inflicted or that she was already dead? Either way, Nina would be devastated. She says he should have respected her, and trusted she wasn’t a frail butterfly, who needed to be protected from the harsh truths of life. He should have told her everything. Instead, he let Carly convince him that not telling the truth would be better for her, when it was actually better for Carly. He got caught up in Carly’s hatred for Nelle, and the non-stop narrative of how evil she is, and how she doesn’t have a chance of redemption. She knows who Nelle was, and the atrocities she committed, but he knew the connection she felt for Nelle, to the point where she made sure Nelle got a decent burial, and she had no idea she was burying her own daughter. Jax swears, at the time, he had no idea, but she says, then he did. He had a choice, to help her deal with the news that her daughter was this troubled woman, who died before she had the chance to give her love, or to help Carly keep a secret. And he chose Carly. A tear rolls down Nina’s cheek.

Peter tells Britt, he came there to tell Nathan that he’s going to do right by Maxie and James, and he’s going to be a good husband and father. She says, as good as Nathan? and he says, Maxie loves him. She says, that didn’t answer the question. Will he be as good as Nathan? If you ask her, that’s asking the impossible.

Carly tells Michael, she agreed to the funeral for the same reason Jordan is putting on extra cops; as a safety precaution. Michael asks how that works, and Jason says, Sonny’s disappearance created a vacuum in the business, which is creating instability. Michael says he gets it. A change in management leaves the company vulnerable to a takeover. Carly says, it will show any potential rivals that the territory is secure, and Jason says, the service is to honor Michael’s father, but the timing is to send a message that Sonny is gone, and he’s in charge.

Martin pushes a button on the phone, and says, hello, mother?… He can’t tell her how good it is to hear the sound of her voice. How is she?… He knows the move to the new place must have been a surprise. Is she comfortable, and are they taking good care of her?

Jackie follows Finn in to an examining room, and says she can keep following him all day. He asks, what’s the alternative? and she says, take a minute to talk to her. He says, usually when someone tells him to go to hell, he assumes that’s the end of the conversation. She says, she lost her temper; she’s sorry. He asks what she thinks they have left to talk about, and she asks him to dial back the animosity; she’s not his enemy. At least she doesn’t want to be. He says, all he wants is some answers. He needs to know if Chase is his son or his brother. She asks if he’s thought it through. Does he really need to know? Has he considered that if he goes through with this, it could destroy Chase’s entire life?

Valentin tells Anna, what did or did not happen when Drew was abducted, it was a full five years before Peter came to Port Charles. Peter may be downplaying his involvement, but which one of them hasn’t glossed over a detail or two? Besides, it all hinges on Kirk’s theory, and they can’t interview a dead man. Anna says, that brings her to her other concern. How or why did Kirk transfer Obrecht from Steinmaur to one of his less secure facilities in Geneva? And why are her whereabouts classified? He says, it’s above Anna’s paygrade; that must be humbling. She tells him, if Obrecht is out, she’s going to be coming for Peter. Valentin has to talk to him, and try to prove what she’s beginning to suspect is wrong.

Britt says, Peter is nothing like Nathan. He’s more like their daddy dearest. What’s the saying? Something about an apple and a tree… He says he’s nothing like their father. There’s good in him that comes from his mother. She says, maybe Anna didn’t save him as much as he thinks, because he’s a helluva lot closer to their father than Anna or Nathan. As Britt leaves, she mutters that she hates telling her mother she was right. Peter watches her go.

Jax tells Nina, misguided or not, it wasn’t about protecting Carly, but protecting her. Nina says, but who protected Nelle? Her mother sent her beautiful baby to a man capable of ripping out her kidney and selling it. Good God, Nelle lacked what she needed in life because Nina’s mother deprived her of it. Then Nina testified against her. She betrayed her daughter, the only child she’ll ever have in her life. She walks away from him.

Michael tells Carly, Nothing meant more to his dad than family. If having the funeral now makes it safer, especially for Josslyn and the girls, Sonny would be all for it, and so is he. Carly asks, what about the other kids? They must have questions. Michael says, Dante has been distracted since he got stabbed with a loaded syringe, but he talked to Kristina. Carly asks if she objects, but he says she knows Carly and Sonny were married, and supports her decision. Carly says she knows it’s the right choice, but she hates it.

Lenny tells Phyllis, Mike (Sonny) doesn’t know who he is, but he sure as hell doesn’t like cops. He wonders if Sonny is a criminal. What are they getting themselves into? She says, the trooper wasn’t exactly friendly when he brought Mike home. It makes sense he’d prefer to avoid them. Lenny says, it’s not his home; he’s just staying with them. They still don’t know anything about him. She says, that’s enough, and asks if Mike hasn’t proven already that he’s a good guy. He defended them when a guy tried to rob them, and he’s helping without them asking. Lenny says, because he’s bipolar and off his meds, but Phyllis says, even on medication, he almost single-handedly restored their kitchen. Lenny wouldn’t know a blessing if it smacked him in the nose. Sonny joins them, and he says he hears what they’re saying, and he’s sorry he’s frustrated, but there’s something about the trooper that doesn’t feel right in his gut. They’ve been nothing but kind to him, and he doesn’t want to be a burden. He’ll pack up and move on. Lenny says, no. He’s not going to let Sonny do that.

Sonny says, Lenny won’t let him leave? Lenny says, what Sonny does is his business, but he’s not the kind of man who would let Sonny run off without properly compensating him for his hard work. Sonny says they don’t owe him anything. They  provided for him, gave him food, and a place to stay. If anything, he owes them. He doesn’t want to be a burden. Lenny asks, who said he was a burden? There’s not much money, but there’s plenty that needs doing. As long as he’s willing to work hard, he’s doing them a favor. Phyllis says he needs to time to get back on his feet, and if he stays, she can monitor his medication, and make sure he’s getting the proper dosage. Sonny says, okay. He’ll stay, but he has conditions. He’s tasted their sauce, now they have to let him make his own.   

Carly tells Michael and Jason, she went over the arrangements with Father Reyes, and he’s been wonderful. Sonny’s headstone will be placed with Mike and Morgan. She knows the importance of ritual and saying goodbye. They’re probably not going to recover Sonny’s body, and this is probably the only closure they’re going have, but it’s hard. She keeps thinking of all the places Sonny isn’t going to be, and all the experiences he’s not going to have. There’s this gaping hole inside. Michael says he keeps expecting Sonny to walk through the front door, and Jason says, him too. Michael says, it’s not like this wasn’t a possibility, given Sonny’s line of work. He’s not so naïve to think it might not catch up with Sonny, but now he wonders what he’s going to do without him. Carly says, they’ll do what his father would want. They’re going to keep going.

Martin says, his mother really thinks the food is that much of an improvement over Mountain Landing Long Term Care?… Noted. He must say, it does his heart good to know the nurses there are spending so much time with her… Agreed. A phone call is wonderful, but doesn’t take the place of an in-person visit… Wonderful. He’ll be seeing her as soon as he can. She knows how much he loves her. I love Martin right at this moment.

Jackie says, there has to be a way to make peace that doesn’t destroy Chase’s happiness. Clearly, Chase loves Finn. He loves having an older brother, and being an uncle to Violet. Why risk throwing that away? Finn says, in his heart, he believes Chase is his brother, but if he turns out to be Chase’s dad, he doesn’t know if he’ll tell Chase, for all the reasons she mentioned. He nearly died recently, and it hit him. If this is all the time he has left, he wants to know if Chase is part of the legacy he’ll leave behind. Jackie asks if Chase isn’t still part of Finn’s legacy as his brother, and Finn says being father to Violet changed him; it changed everything. If Chase turns out to be Violet’s brother, if something happens to him, it would be comfort to know his children had each other.

Peter talks to Nathan’s headstone, saying, he’s sick and tired of the non-stop comparisons to Nathan. He’s tired of Maxie’s love being questioned all the time. Trust him, his dearest brother, once he’s Maxie’s husband, he’ll make sure Nathan’s ghost is relegated so deep into the past, he can assume his rightful place as a distant memory. James already looks at Peter like his father, and soon Maxie herself will think of him as James’s dad. Valentin appears, and says, that’s very touching.

Jax tells Nina, she didn’t betray Nelle. She told the truth under oath. An innocent child’s life was in play, and they all did their best to protect Wiley; Willow, Michael, Carly and her. Nina says she never questioned Carly’s love for her family. She’s been supportive of the way Carly and Jax co-parent, but what hurts is, Jax couldn’t look past what Carly needed to what she might need. When Nelle died, there was no more threat to Wiley, but Carly still pressured him to keep the secret, and does he see what that would have cost her? He says he’s not following. By the time they put the clues together, Nelle was dead for months. She says, her daughter is dead and there’s nothing she can do to change that, but Wiley is still alive. Doesn’t he see that keeping her in the dark about her connection to Nelle could have kept her from a lifetime with her grandson?

Jax says this is going be hard to believe, but it never occurred to him that she was Wiley’s grandmother too. He’s sorry. If he’d known that, he would have told her the truth right away, no matter how hard it was. He swears. Nina says, it sickens her to say this, but she doesn’t trust him. If she can’t trust him, she can’t share the decisions she’ll be making about her grandson with him. Jax says he’s scared about where she’s going with this. She’s pushing him away, and she doesn’t have to, he promises. She tells him not to make it harder for her. Just go. He says, please, but she turns her back to him. As he walks out the door, he keeps trying to say something, but has no words.

Valentin says he didn’t expect to find Peter there. Quite a show of devotion considering… Peter says, what? and Valentin says, Peter and Nathan were brothers, but Peter barely knew the man. Peter says, Nathan was important to Maxie, and Maxie is important to him, and Valentin says he’s impressed. Peter has worked hard to be an honorable man. Still, a few stray strands of truth are unraveling. Peter asks what he means, and Valentin tells him, Obrecht’s whereabouts are unknown. Peter says, she’s supposed to be locked away in Steinmaur, but Valentin says, she was transferred, and now she’s off the grid. Peter asks if Valentin thinks she’s coming for him, and Valentin asks if she has reason to.

Anna goes to the hospital, and says Britt is just the person she’s looking for. She could use Britt’s professional opinion about a person missing under a doctor’s care. She’s prone to self-aggrandizing, fantasy and delusion, and she’s suddenly gone missing. Britt says, she’s a doctor, not a P.I., and Anna says, but what does she think about this individual? Is she safe out there, or should the authorities be notified?

Jackie tells Finn, Chase raves about Violet. If he was her brother instead of her uncle, those feelings wouldn’t change, but he’d be devastated to lose his brother. She sees how much Finn loves Chase too. Finn says he convinced himself that he didn’t need family; he didn’t need anyone. Violet and Chase proved him wrong. She says, let that be enough. Please. Chase wanted a functional, loving family his entire life, and now he has three family members; his mother, his father, and his brother. Finn says he told her, it’s long shot, but if it turns out he’s Chase’s dad, he doesn’t know if he’ll tell Chase. She says she doesn’t think he could keep it a secret for long. Then what? Everyone Chase knows, loves, and trusts won’t be the people he thought they were. It will completely tear his life apart. Chase comes in, and says, look at this. They’re both in the same room, no one is bleeding, and nothing is on fire. Isn’t that great?

Jason asks if Carly is sure she wants to do this; he can handle it. She says, no. She wants to be there. She opens the door to Martin, and says, Mr. Grey. How good of you to come. She invites him in.

Phyllis gives Sonny a bag, and says, fresh tomatoes, just like he requested. He drives a hard bargain. Sonny asks if Phyllis is sure Lenny is okay with him staying, and she says, trust her. He would be out of there in a heartbeat if Lenny wasn’t. And his work isn’t charity. They need help. If she’s being honest, it’s a relief knowing he’ll be there if another customer problem. He says she has his word. No one is going to rob her and Lenny again as long as he’s around. She says, he may now know much about who he is, but she has the gut feeling that he’s certainly a man of his word. Sonny wonders if he can ask her about something that’s been bothering him. She says, sure, and he says, obviously he doesn’t know who he is, but there are people out there who do know. How come they’re not looking for him? Phyllis takes Sonny’s hand, and asks, how does he know they’re not?

Britt tells Anna that she doesn’t speculate on hypotheticals, but Anna says, this is very real, and potentially dangerous. Unless Britt helps. Britt asks, how? and Anna says, tell her where Obrecht is, and she promises she won’t shoot Obrecht on sight.

Valentin dusts off Nathan’s tombstone, and says, it’s come to his attention that Franco Baldwin can place Peter at the scene of a crime. Peter says he doesn’t know what Valentin is talking about, and Valentin says, let him clarify. Franco is channeling Drew’s memories, and they’re resurfacing. Peter says, all he knows about Franco, is his tumor is resurfacing, which makes him a potential threat. Valentin says, Peter didn’t seem to feel that way when he burst into the operating room to stop the man sent to kill Franco. Peter asks where Valentin is going with this, and Valentin says he’s just playing with puzzle pieces to see what fits. If Franco Baldwin, Drew Cane, Jason Morgan… Peter says, what about Jason? and Valentin says, it wasn’t that long ago, Peter came to him, frantic that he’d crossed Jason. What did he mean by that exactly?

Jackie says, look at Chase, with his smart mouth. She and his brother are grown-ups. They can still manage to have a polite conversation. Chase says, anything he should know? and she says she’s just following a lead. She thanks Finn for the talk, says goodbye to Chase, and leaves. Chase tells Finn, he’s sorry, but did some minor miracle just happen? They sounded almost friendly. Finn tells him, focus on the almost part, and asks him why he’s there. Chase says he just thought he’d thank his big brother for his moral support. Finn takes it they’re talking about Willow, and it went well. Chase says, it did. He just left her, and she said they had more than a chance of a future together, and it’s all because of him. He pulls Finn into a reluctant hug, and says, thanks, man.

Michael says there’s something he and Willow need to talk about. She says, sounds important, and he says, it is. They talked about her moving out… She says, and he has safety concerns because of Franco’s medical condition. He says, now they have one more reason to worry, and she says, he means Chase’s message. Telling them there will be more police in the streets wasn’t exactly subtle. He says, so she caught that too, and they sit. He tells her, he and his dad lived very different lives workwise, and their business lives never crossed paths. She says she knows that, and he says, but he’s Sonny’s son, and has his name. Since his father was a don (there, he said it), there will be people out there expecting Michael will take over for Sonny, and they might not want that to happen. She asks if he’s in danger, and he says, he doubts it, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be careful. He wonders if she’d consider moving into the Quartermaine gatehouse. Wiley will have easy access to both of them, and she’ll be safer there. Will she at least consider it?

Martin tells Carly and Jason, he had a very nice conversation with his mother earlier. He was gratified to find out that, not only the food, but the nursing staff is a marked improvement from her last location. Carly is glad Florence feels well taken care of, and he says, as is he. He’s aware that tomorrow is her husband’s funeral. Out of respect for her loss, he’s backing away from seeking his mother’s freedom, for now. In the meantime, he hopes she and Jason understand, one fragile old woman can’t hold the peace of Port Charles for long. Jason and Carly look grim.

Jackie goes to the reception desk at the hospital, and says she’s looking for an old friend of hers – Bobbie Spencer. The reception nurse says, she’s sorry; Bobbie no longer works there. Jackie says, too bad. She was hoping to catch up with Bobbie. Does the nurse know where she’s working now? The nurse says, last she heard, Bobbie was working for a private patient in Vermont. Jackie says, Vermont is so beautiful. She loves Vermont.

Nina looks at the necklaces, and puts one on. She makes a call. Sonny answers, the Tan-O. Mike speaking. Nina is like, whaaat?

On Monday, Nina asks Sonny what his name is again, Elizabeth asks if that’s an apology, Valentin says he has his theories and wants to hear Peter’s, and Josslyn tells Carly that she feels like their family can never escape her.

What I Watched Today

General Hospital

At the MetroCourt, Brando says he owes Sonny one. Sonny told him not to miss the Nurses Ball. Sonny bets Brando didn’t think he’d be answering phones, but Brando said he enjoyed it, especially the sense of community. Sonny gets a call from Turning Woods, and Brando says he hopes Mike is okay.

Sam visits Jason at the hospital, and he asks, how was the telethon? She says, musically, it was a major success, but the best part of the night is seeing him there. She was sure the second she turned her back on him, he’d make a great escape. He says he promised to stay unless there was a big emergency. Sam says, no emergency.

Jax and Nina go to the MetroCourt, and Jax says they deserve a drink after their dance. She says it was fun dancing with him, and he says she was incredible. She says that’s because she had a dynamite partner. In between basking in the spotlight, she realized that finally her life is on track. She has a job she loves, peace in her heart, and a refreshingly healthy relationship with a good man. He says he’s not saying, I told you so. Carly approaches their table, and asks if they’re recuperating or savoring their onstage triumph. Jax says, both, and Carly says she’ll have a server come over to take their orders. They deserve a drink.

At the hospital, Ned wonders why they’re not being told anything, and Olivia says they’re focused on saving Brook’s life. He says he’s going to call Monica, and ask her to pull rank. Olivia says she understands it’s painful, but it’s not about him. It’s about the doctors and nurses doing their work. Let them. Chase comes in, and tells them that he just came back from the crime scene. They’re questioning everyone who was backstage, and gathering security footage. He asks if Brook had any enemies. Was anyone angry with her? Ned says, other than him?

Nelle asks Julian what the hell he’s doing, and he says he’s not letting her take Wiley. He’s done with this. Nelle says if he wants to help Wiley, leave with her tonight. She has money… He says, it’s over. He should have put an end to it a long, long time ago.

Willow says, Wiley’s not in his room, and Michael asks if Monica brough him downstairs at any point. Monica says she heard Wiley on the monitor, but no; she didn’t go upstairs. Willow says Wiley is just big enough to have gotten out on his own, and Michael suggests they start searching the rooms, but sees a cloth on the ground. He sniffs it and says, it’s soaked in some kind of chemical. Monica smells it, and says, it’s chloroform. Michael and Willow look at each other.

Carly tells Jax and Nina, everything is on the house tonight, and Jax says they appreciate it. Carly tells Nina, she’s already said that Nina’s testimony was crucial in Michael and Willow getting custody of Wiley, and Nina asks how Wiley is doing. Carly says, it’s like the three of them have been together all along. It’s so much lighter. They hadn’t realize Nelle was like a heavy weight hanging over everything. She’s manipulative and broken, and would have inflicted that on Wiley, doing indefinite damage. All’s well that ends well. Nina says, as long as Wiley is happy, and Carly tells them to enjoy. Nina asks Jax not to hate her for what she’s about to say, and Jax says he might not agree with her, but he’d never hate her. She says, when Carly said, all’s well that ends well, she couldn’t help thinking that she doubts Nelle feels that way.

Sam tells Jason that Josslyn was the highlight, and there was a beautiful closing number. She asks how he’s doing, and he says he went for a walk. She says, scouting escape routes? but he says he was told to start moving around, and he fell asleep as soon as he hit the bed. She says, good. She wants him healed. She has some major plans for when he’s fully recovered. Jason’s phone rings, and he answers it. He frowns, and says, correct. All right. He appreciates the call. She asks who that was, and he says, the PCPD. They got the preliminary report about his accident. It turns out it was the stabilizer after all. Sam says, the part Brando installed.

On the phone, Sonny says he understands, and Brando tells Carly, it’s Turning Woods. She asks, what’s going on? and Sonny says Mike’s caregiver showed him a video from the 2018 Nurses Ball when they sang Summer Wind. His dad was smiling all the way through. Brando says, Sonny sang with Mike? and Carly says, it was an impromptu number. He should have seen it. Sonny says, it’s on the Nurses Ball website, and Brando says he definitely wants to see that, and Sonny laughs.

Chase asks why Ned was at odds with his daughter, and Ned says there was tension because she’d sold her ELQ shares. Who is he kidding? He called her a traitor, and kicked her out. Chase asks if that’s when he saw Brook last, and Olivia says they understand he’s just doing his job, but… Ned says he didn’t attack his own daughter. Everyone can testify they were at the Ball the whole time. Chase says he’s just trying to establish a timeline; Brook’s movements and state of mind. Any detail will help. Olivia says Brook had recently been with her ex-manager, Linc Brown; he operates out of NYC, and he’s a total sleazebag. He wouldn’t let Brook out of her contract, and sexually harassed her. When she resisted, he killed her career. She was trying to get away from him, which is why she sold her shares. Chase says, it’s a good lead, and Olivia asks if he thinks someone was plotting to do something to Brook at the Nurses Ball. Chase doesn’t think so, and she says she thinks it’s more likely that Brook walked in on something she shouldn’t have. Chase says, she’s strong and resilient, and she’ll pull through. They’re going to investigate every lead. He leaves, and Olivia tells Ned, he’s right; Brook is strong. She’s got the Quartermaine fight, and that spirit is going to pull her through.

Officer Sanchez asks Chase if they’re starting with Brook’s manager. He says, it’s their best lead, but Olivia might be on to something. This came out of nowhere. It wasn’t calculated, and there were too many people. It was too risky. It seems like a crime of passion or desperation.

Nelle says Julian doesn’t have to do this, but he says she went too far. He drugged Monica, and kidnapped Wiley. What was he thinking? He’s not handing Wiley over to her. She says she has the document that Martin will open in the event of her death. It details everything. How he helped Brad and rigged Brad’s car. He says he’s not going to roll over, and she says, Sonny will kill him.

Willow tells Monica, she needs to rest, and Michael asks if she doesn’t remember anything; a face or a voice? She says she heard an alert on her phone. She’d left it in the foyer, and went to get it. When she came in, she heard Wiley on the monitor, but she didn’t go upstairs. Michael calls the police, and says his child was kidnapped. A toddler, blond with blue eyes; his name is Wiley, and he was abducted from 66 Harbor View Road. He needs the police there, and a missing child alert issued immediately.

Officer Sanchez tells Ned and Olivia, so far, there are no eyewitnesses, but they’re going over the security footage. Chase says he has to go; another case requires his immediate attention. Officer Sanchez will stay there, and he’ll check in later. Portia comes out and says she has an update on Brook.

Sam says Jason didn’t ask Brando to put in the part; he volunteered. Jason says it could have been a faulty part from the manufacturer, but Sam says, that’s not a mistake a mechanic would make. He says, it depends on the defect, but she insists Brando sabotaged the bike. He says Brando has been open with him and Sonny, and admitted Cyrus came into the garage. She says, maybe he knew they’d figure it out eventually, but Jason asks, how? Cyrus wasn’t going to call him. Sonny gave Brando a pass for right now. Sam says she questioned him too; more like confronted him. He denied it of course (🍷), and was sweet to Molly and TJ, so she was all right with it, but it’s not over. He says they don’t need to decide tonight. Brando knows better than to disappear. Sonny would hunt him down if he had to. Sam says, not if she got to him first.

Brando watches Sonny and Mike’s performance, and tells Sonny, that was good. They were both loving it. Sonny says there was a problem with an act, and the stage was empty. Before he knew it, his dad was on stage singing, and then forgot the words. Carly says Sonny jumped on stage, and it was natural, like it was choreographed. Brando thanks Sonny for showing him. Carly’s phone rings, and she says, it’s Michael. Michael tells her about Wiley being kidnapped. She asks if he’s sure, and he says he found Monica unconscious, and a rag soaked in chloroform. The police are on their way. She says, you know it was Nelle, and he says he knows.

Julian tells Nelle that Wiley is in his car, where he’s fast asleep. It’s locked, so she can’t get to him. She says, put down  the gun, and hand her the keys, but he says, try to keep up. He’s done taking orders from her. He doesn’t care if Sonny kills him or not. She won’t be able to destroy Wiley’s life, and that’s the important part. She says this will scar Wiley for life, knowing his mother was murdered, but he says that’s what he’s trying to prevent; her scarring Wiley for life. Somebody has to stop her. Taggert comes out of nowhere, and knocks the gun out of Julian’s hand. I just shake my head.

Portia tells Ned and Olivia, to be honest, Brook has a long way to go before she’s out of the woods. She’s going through an extremely difficult procedure, and is in critical condition. Ned asks what she’s saying. His daughter’s not going to die, is she?

Sam says Jason could have died, and he says he knows, but he didn’t. He’s going to make a full recovery. If Brando had anything to do with the crash, he and Sonny will handle it; stay out of it. She asks if he thinks she’s wrong or blames her for Michael losing his job at ELQ. He says he wishes she’d made a different decision, but she did what she thought was right, and Sam says they’ll have to agree to disagree about Valentin, but Brando is another story. He says he understands her concern, and trusts her instincts, and she says she’s not buying Brando’s nice thing. He says he’ll keep that in mind, and she says, it’s getting late. The kids will want know about the Nurses Ball, and how daddy is doing. He says, tell them he loves them, and will be home as soon as he can. She says she can’t wait.

Monica says she had no idea anyone was in the house, and Michael says, it’s not her fault. Chase is there, and asks if Nelle had the keys. Michael says, not to the main house, but she could have stolen one. He should have changed the locks, but so much was happening. Chase says officers are checking the last place she was staying, and they have her car description and license plate number issued in a bulletin. Michael says, Nelle will anticipate that, and Chase says he’s reached out to the FBI, and they’ve expanded the search. She was supposed to perform at the Nurses Ball. Epiphany was upset that Nelle would be up there, pretending to care about the hospital she was suing. He asks if she ever went on, but Michael says, no. It was probably a diversion. While everyone was focused on the Ball, no one knew what she was doing. Chase asks Monica if she knows how long she was out, and she says she was watching telethon, but it wasn’t over. Chase says Nelle had at least an hour head start. Wiley could be anywhere.

Julian throws Taggert off of him, grabs the gun. Taggert is on the ground, knocked out, and Julian looks around, but Nelle is gone. He throws the gun in the river. Why? He says, sorry, guy, and leaves.

Carly tells Sonny, when Michael and Willow got home, they found Monica unconscious, and no sign of Wiley. Michael found a rag with chloroform on the ground. Sonny says, son of a bitch, and Carly says, it had to be Nelle. She’s had enough time to put distance between her and Wiley, and Port Charles. Brando says, they don’t think she’d hurt her own son? and Sonny says, she’s psycho but won’t hurt her only leverage. Carly decides to go to the Quartermaines, and tells Sonny, do what he can. Sonny asks her to tell Michael that his heart is with him. They’ll get Wiley back. Carly says, do whatever takes, and Sonny agrees. Brando says Jason is usually Sonny’s backup, so if Sonny needs him, he’s in. Carly tells Jax and Nina that Wiley was kidnapped, and Nina asks if it was Nelle. Carly says, it couldn’t be anyone else. She tells Jax, Josslyn is with Trina, and there’s nothing she can do right now, but tomorrow, if they still don’t know anything, she might need his help. She leaves, and Nina says, oh my God. She’s so sorry. Jax says, it’s Nelle’s fault, and the authorities for letting her out on parole. Nina says she should have realized what Nelle is capable of, and warned someone. She knows how Nelle thinks.

Ned asks Portia if he can see Brook after her surgery. He has to speak to her, and she needs to hear his voice. Portia says Brook was barely alive when she was brought to them. They had to do a lot of work to get her blood pressure back, so she could withstand the surgery. She has her best surgeons working on Brook, but unfortunately, that’s all they know for now. She goes back in, and Ned cries. He says, my little girl, and Olivia holds him.

Julian goes to Charlie’s, and his phone dings. He sees a missing child alert for Wiley, and says, dammit. Sonny comes in, and says he has a problem, adding, Julian does too. His wife kidnapped Sonny’s grandson. Julian says, she’s not here, and Sonny says he’s not surprised. He came looking for Julian. Julian says he had nothing to do with it. They both know Nelle is crazy. Sonny says Julian didn’t seem shocked; why? They’re not meeting up later, are they? Instead of saying he just saw the alert, like a normal guilty person would, Julian says, nope. He’s not surprised Nelle took Wiley because she’s desperate. Michael said she lost it in court. Sonny says, quit stalling, and tell him now where Nelle is with his grandson. Julian says he doesn’t know; he swears. Brando comes out from the back, and says, no sign of Nelle or Wiley, but he found this. He shows Sonny a packed duffel bag, and says, someone is planning on taking a trip. Sonny says, going someplace, Jules? No one ever called Julian Jules before, and suddenly it’s a thing?

Carly asks how Michael is holding up, and he says he keeps telling himself that he won’t do Wiley any good if he loses it. Chase comes in, and says they found nothing at Nelle’s apartment. Carly says, she has money from the sale of her ELQ shares; so she can get pretty far. Chase says they know that and are staking out the airports, including private jets, and the busses and train stations. Nelle is smart, but her resources are limited; theirs aren’t. Willow comes downstairs, and says she can’t find Wiley’s kangaroo. Michael explains, it’s his comfort toy, and Carly asks if Nelle knew that. Willow says they talked about it the last time Nelle was there. Michael says Wiley was having his nap, and Nelle took off without seeing him, which was suspicious. She’s more likely to hang around and make everyone uncomfortable. Willow wonders if Nelle was planning on taking Wiley even then, and Carly says, absolutely. That’s even more proof that it was Nelle, if she took his favorite toy.

In the car, Nelle tells Wiley, it was crazy back there. She thought Julian was going to kill her. One more person who betrayed her, but she got him. The man at the dock was a stroke of luck. He saved mommy’s life. At the expense of his own, but no good deed goes unpunished.

Taggert lies unconscious on the pier.

Olivia asks if Ned wants to spend time in the chapel, but he says, later. He wants to be there if Brook wakes up. He wonders how long it’s been, but Olivia says, not long. Dr. Robinson said it’s a delicate operation; give it time. She thinks right now they have to accept that no news is good news. Ned says she’s being great. When she should be saying, I told you so. She asked him to speak to Brook and forgive her, but he wouldn’t listen. In typical Quartermaine fashion, he put the company ahead of his daughter, and shut down. He threw her out of the house; out of the family. He let her believe he didn’t care or love her anymore. If she dies, the last memory she’ll have of him is when he slammed door in her face.

Carly calls Jason, and tells him that Wiley has been kidnapped. He says, tell him everything, but she says, there’s not much to tell. Monica was downstairs, and Wiley was upstairs in the nursery. Michael and Willow came home to find Monica unconscious, and no sign of Wiley. He asks if Monica is okay, and she says, Monica was knocked out by chloroform. Michael called after he found the rag. He asks if the cops are there, and she says, yeah; they’re following procedure, but Nelle is crazy and motivated. She knows there will be alerts at the border crossings, so maybe she’s going to NYC or Philadelphia, where she can blend in. She’ll be driving, so they’re looking for her car, but someone may be helping her. He asks where Sonny is, and she says, following another lead. She doesn’t know what, but he said he’d call if he finds anything. Jason says, anything else? and Carly says Wiley’s stuffed kangaroo is missing; Nelle knew enough to take it. He says, that’s the kind of detail that could make a difference. He tells her to stay there with Michael, and he’ll call when he knows something. She asks if he’s sure he’s okay enough to help, and he says she wouldn’t have called if she didn’t think he was, and she knows it. He hangs up, and calls Spinelli.

Sonny says, just when he started to believe Julian, they find a packed duffel bag. Not good. Julian says it’s stuff he was donating to the Waterfront clothing drive. Sonny asks where he was tonight, and Julian says they were in the same place, the Nurses Ball. Sonny says he didn’t see Julian much; did he leave early with Wiley? Monica was knocked out with chloroform. Does he know anything about it? Julian says he doesn’t know what Nelle did. Sonny should call the cops. Sonny says he doesn’t need the cops. If his grandson isn’t found, he’s going to be Julian’s judge, jury, and executioner. Understand? Sonny tells Brando that they’ll go check on Michael. Julian tells him, hold up.  

Nina tells Jax, she should have known how far Nelle would go.  She’s a schemer, manipulator, and a liar, and would do anything to get Wiley. She’s sorry she thought otherwise. Jax says they’ll find him, and give him back to Michael and Willow, and Nelle says, they must be going crazy with worry. She feels horrible about Willow. She said horrible things to and about her, but respects her, and how she’s trying to protect Wiley. Jax says he doesn’t know much about Willow, but what he saw in court impressed him. Nina says, Willow is more of a mother to Wiley than Nelle will ever be.

Chase says the officers who went to Nelle’s apartment said it was cleared out; her clothes and car are gone. Monica says she thought of something – Wiley’s heart condition. What if it flares up, and Nelle refuses to get him treatment like before? Carly asks if he was showing any symptoms, but Willow says, he was his normal, smiling self. Carly says, let’s take care of one crisis at a time. Monica was drugged, and should go to the hospital. Michael says he’ll take her, but Monica tells him to stay, and keep her posted. He and Carly walk her out, and Chase tells Willow, he promises they’ll find Nelle before anything happens to Wiley.

Nelle hears sirens, and sees flashing lights. She tells Wiley, they’re going to try and take him away, and give him to Carly.

Sonny asks what Julian remembers. Where did Nelle hide his grandson? Julian says if he knew, he would tell Sonny. He just wants Sonny to know he’s sorry for all of this. He’s sorry he got involved with Nelle; that’s the God’s honest truth. Sonny says if Julian is going to bring God into it, pray when Nelle gets caught, she doesn’t have a different story to tell. He’ll do Julian a favor and take the duffel bag to the collection box, and save him a trip.

On the phone at the pier, Jason asks Spinelli if he’s sure the last place the phone pinged was at Pier 55. Maybe she ditched the phone; he’ll look around. He hears Taggert groan, and says, talk to him. Who did this? He realizes it’s Taggert, who says, hey.

Olivia tells Ned, Brook loves screwing things up, and they’ll get in more fights, but her spirit will bring her through. She won’t let go easily. She does nothing easily, and she’s going to come back to them. When she does, he’ll get to say what he needs to say. Ned says he’s sitting there, trying find the words to use, the right things to tell her, and all he can come up with is, I love you. Isn’t it strange? All the words they have, and different ways of saying things; the lyrics to songs. But when it comes down to it, what else is there to say? He loves her, and if she can’t hear him say that again, he will never, ever forgive himself.

Portia comes back out, and says she spoke to Brook’s surgical team. Ned says, please. Did she make it?

Jax tells Nina, he’s lucky he never stopped listening to Lady Jane. Nina wishes she’d met Lady Jane, and he says she would have loved Nina. She appreciated strong, intelligent women. She says, that explains why Jax is who he is; a steady, good man, unafraid of strong women. He says, and intelligent, beautiful, sexy… and she says she likes it better the longer it’s getting. He says he’s sorry for what happened in her life, and Nina says she over-compensated with Charlotte, but he says he thinks she’s a great mother. He saw her with Charlotte. She thanks him, saying, that’s high praise. She did discover something, and is sure Willow did too. You don’t have to be a biological mother to have undying love for a child.

Carly tells Michael and Willow that Jason will call when he knows something. Michael asks if Jason isn’t in the hospital, but she says he’s out there looking. Michael says, it’s selfish, but he feel better knowing Jason is out there. Willow asks how much Jason can do, just being out of the hospital, but Michael says, he’s resourceful. Carly says they have to follow Jason’s example. Stay calm, but with their eyes open. Nelle is all about mind games, and making them jump through hoops. She won’t be able to resist leaving a clue. Chase comes back, and says they found Nelle’s car.

Nelle looks in the rearview mirror, as the cop cars pass. She says she swears she thought they found them, but how could they? Not in this car. She knew it would be the perfect car for their special trip.

Chase says she parked at the far end of a lot, but the car was abandoned. There were no signs of her or Wiley, but they’re searching the surrounding area. Michael says, they have no way to track the car, and Carly says, of course (🍷) not. Nelle thought of everything.

Nelle tells Wiley, smart mommy. Sonny can’t even link this car to them. They’re going far, far away, where Carly and the rest can never find them. The family will miss him terribly, and never know what happened to him, but they’ll have wonderful adventures, and Wiley will love the only mommy he’ll ever know. He’ll never have a grandmother, which is exactly what Carly deserves.

Tomorrow, Elizabeth asks why Franco won’t believe her, Nikolas tells Spencer that he has a plan to get Ava out of their lives, Sonny says there’s nowhere Nelle can hide where he can’t find her, and Cyrus asks someone if they’re going to have a problem.

Below Deck Mediterranean

Tom tells Bugs he’ll sort it out, but then bitches about a potato. The guests discuss the merits, or not, of raw lobster. Tom and Malia go into the walk-in refrigerator, and Tom says he’s good at what he does. She asks him to tell her how to help, and he says he has way too much self-respect to do this effing bullsh*t. She says, it hurts her for him to be like this, and he says, sorry; he didn’t expect this, and he has a cake to make. They come out, and Malia says, effing ridiculous, but I’m not sure if she’s referring to the situation or Tom. He continues to complain, while Jess and Alex have a pillow fight in one of the guest rooms. Tom sends out new lobster for the guests, and says he’s cooking the steak on the grill. Jess tucks the gigantic dildo under the covers on the bed, its other kind of head on the pillow. Guest Jared or Jacob, or whatever the hell his name is, tells Tom, the raw lobster was good, and Tom says, it was cooked for at least an hour. Bugs serves the steak and primary Isaac says, it’s on point. Tom makes his last minute cake, and decorates it. He tells Malia that he’ll go up, but he’s not carrying anything. He hates this sh*t. Everyone sings Happy Birthday, and Jacob blows out the candles, but I think he’s older than three. At least chronologically.

Jess asks Rob for help with the laundry, and he says he’s thinking about the future. She says, how so? and he says, like Bali; things like that. She asks if that means he’s loving her more, and he says, something like that. He’s so articulate, I can’t stand it. In her interview, she says, if he doesn’t go, she’ll be sad, and Bali is a dream of hers. He’s messing with her head. The guests relax in the outside lounge. Alex tells Pete that he’s kind of glad Hannah is gone; there’s a different vibe. Tom thanks Malia for her help, and says he’s disappointed. She says they just turned the boat yesterday, and he got thrown in. In his interview, he says, when you’re on a super yacht, everything you’ve worked for is at risk. Reputation is everything, and it has to be perfect.

Bugs begs for coffee and sympathy from Alex. In her interview, she says she’s had a lot put on her plate. They have a new chef, and suddenly, she’s a chief stew with an interior team of one. It’s a lot to handle in a day. She calls for a status update on the belly dancer, and is told to call back when the boat is closer. She reminds the guests that their beach picnic is noon, and serves breakfast; my favorite, eggs benedict. Tom goes over the menu for the picnic, and the deckhands discuss logistics. Bugs tell Jess to do the beds, and says she’ll catch up when she comes back. It’s a bit of a juggling act. She gets the deckhands to clear the table, and she and Alex head for the beach. There’s a bunch of back and forth with the deckhands about loading the boat and the line on the tender, and in Rob’s interview, he says he can contribute, but they don’t listen, It’s a clusterf*** with everyone in the same place at the same time, doing the same thing. He’s tired of this sh*t. The other deckhands wonder what’s up with him.

Captain Sandy asks if Jacob/Jarod slept well, and he says he did, but his Russian snow pony is blitzed. These kids are too much for him. In Bugs’s interview, she says, it’s her first time on a boat this big, with just two stews. She doesn’t want the crew to see her flustered. She likes to be in control. It’s madness. At the beach, Bugs tells Alex, great job setting up, and goes back to the boat. Jess leans against the wall and takes a quick nap. Rob complains that people are delegating who aren’t his boss. In the snake Malia’s interview, she says, a lot of the problems are HR, and it’s annoying. It’s Tom’s first charter, and they’re down a stew. They have to not sweat the little things, and focus on the bigger picture. Bugs sends Jess on a break, and Tom plates the food for the picnic. Bugs says, it’s delicious-looking, and they hand it off to Malia. Two shrimp cocktails promptly fall over, spilling everything out. She says, the bottoms of the glasses are round, and yells for Tom. He fixes the food, and she suggests he not send unbalanced glass jars on a beach picnic. Malia packs them tightly in a cooler, and I wonder why it wasn’t done that way in the first place. Bugs returns to the beach with the food. The guests are taken to the beach in two shifts, and Bugs greets them with champagne. Bugs prepares and serves the food, then radios Tom, saying, the food is going down well. Alex tells Malia that Rob is upset. He loves Rob, but he gets sensitive about the little things. Malia says, people are irritated and tired. Snow pony wants Jared/Jacob to take bare ass photos of her bending over, and tells him use the portrait mode for better quality.

Alex asks Bugs when they’re having their first official date, so they can see if they really hate or love each other. In her interview, she doesn’t know if he’s joking with her. She doesn’t want to put herself in a vulnerable position by accepting, and then find out it a joke. Rob is pulling in the slide, and Malia suggests a different way, and works with him. Apparently, he’s as tired of the slide as everyone else who’s ever dealt with it. Malia tells him to put the cover on. The belly dancer arrives, and Pete asks if Rob wants to reroll it, and they start rerolling. Malia says they can do that, but she just asked him to put the cover on it. Rob says, they’re stubborn, and in Malia’s interview, she says she’s tired of them ignoring her; it’s disrespectful. She tells them that she’s had it.

In her interview, Malia says, dinner service is starting, she’s supposed to help Bugs, and they aren’t even in their blacks. These two (meaning Rob and Pete) don’t see there are so many other moving parts. The belly dancer arrives, and Jared shows off his elephant thong to the other guests. The elephant’s trunk is where… never mind. Everyone dresses up for the Arabian Nights theme. In Jess’s interview, she says she’s doing two people’s jobs, and thinks she’s deserving of the second stew position. Rob sees Malia and the captain eating in the galley, and says Malia seems angry. She says she doesn’t appreciate being blatantly ignored. He says they thought it would be quick, but she says, it wasn’t quick. It’s 9 pm, and they’re just getting into their blacks. There are more moving parts other than him and Pete that she needs to worry about. Isn’t she allowed to get upset? He says he’s speaking to her as a professional. Captain Sandy says she doesn’t know what happened, but if someone tells you how to do something a certain way, making a suggestion is one thing, but being blatantly insubordinate is disrespectful and not cool. She leaves them, but Rob says he has nothing else to say. The guests toast to family, and Bugs welcomes them to their Arabian Night. Baeya does her thing, and Jacob asks where her monkey is at, and dances with her. Ugh.

Malia tells Tom that she’s tired of dealing with the same stuff. In Tom’s interview, he says, last night at dinner was frustrating. He figures the guests don’t have refined taste buds, but it’s still frustrating because it’s part of his identity. Rob meets with Jess, and says Malia was mad about some silly thing over the slide. He’d never disrespect her. In Jess’s interview, she says, every second they have together has been interrupted. She thinks if they go to Bali, they can get to know each other, but she’s trying not to get excited in case he doesn’t go. Jacob says, the chicken is pink as a mofo. Bugs takes it back, and tells Tom to just pan fry it; the guest wants it more brown. In Tom’s interview, he says he doesn’t think they understand what poached means, because they’re complete idiots, but whatever. Bugs tells Alex to take his shirt off, and he says, the things he does. Apparently, he’ll be the monkey, and he tells Baeya that he’ll just follow her lead. She says he has the soul of a belly dancer, no? and he says, no; he’s never danced in his life. Jacob gets new, more browned chicken, and Alex is introduced as Jingles. He comes out covered in glitter, and dances with Baeya. In his interview, he says he literally hates himself. Everyone laughs, and says it’s wonderful. Jacob tells Bugs that his Russian pony changed her name to Carmen because she loves cars and men. His name is BJ Golf. Bugs says, on that note, and runs for her life.

Bugs asks Jess to put a load of laundry in before she goes to bed. Rob asks if Malia thinks he doesn’t respect her, but she says, it’s more Pete. He says he’s not going to overthink it, and fixes up the table. He tells Malia, it’s scary. He’s worried about making the wrong choice if he follows his heart rather than his head. Malia says, always follow your heart, I choke on my coffee, and he repeats, it’s scary. One of the guests asks if they’re a person down in the interior, and Rob says they are. The guest says they noticed. It wasn’t that they lacked service, but Bugs is always there; she’s doing a phenomenal job. Malia tells Tom about getting pissed off, and says, the deck crew is strung out. In Malia’s interview she says, it’s refreshing to have a person to confide in, and the person she wants most to have around. Tom says he was frustrated as hell, but he knows it will get easier. Bugs does laundry, and Rob washes dishes.

Jess vacuums up glitter. Having taken care of kids, I’ve grown to hate glitter. The captain sees laundry piled up, and asks Jess why it’s not going 24/7. She needs to stay on top of the laundry. In Jess’s interview, she says they’re down a stew – again. She’s trying her best, but keeps getting shat on with the damn laundry. Captain Sandy tells Bugs, it’s ridiculous. There should never be piles. In her interview, the captain says, there’s no excuse, and we flash back over Jess’s laundry issues. Captain Sandy says Jess has a laxy daisy attitude. I don’t know if she’s making a joke, or doesn’t know how to pronouce lackadaisical. Bugs asks why Jess isn’t happy; it’s the last day of charter. In Bugs’s interview, she says, it’s not the charter for cracking the whip. It’s not the time and place to get up to speed, but she’ll have to. Jess mutters, she will not make me a bitch. She’s nice, calm, and effing happy. In her interview, she says she’s trying to suppress Jessica. She claws at the air, saying, let me out to handle this sh*t. Bugs has never heard of huevos ranchero, and calls it guevos, cuevos, and eventually queros. She asks Jess to do laundry, and Jess says, yeah, which I’ve never heard less enthusiastically. The guests pack, the boat is docked, and the captain says, good job; well done.

Isaac tells the crew, it was a blast. The service was phenomenal. They kept the booze flowing, and it was appreciated. He gives Captain Sandy the tip envelope, and she tells everyone to get in their reds and meet in the main salon. Rob tells Jess, in two weeks, they’re leaving, and she says, hopefully together. She feels like she wants it more than he does. Bugs pours champagne, and the crew gathers together. The captain says she thinks they killed it, considering what went down. They got a new chef, and were without a chief stew, but Bugs took over with ease and grace. Her goal never changed. It was always about the guests and that’s what the captain has wanted. They’re getting a second stew for the next charter, and picking her up in Ibiza. Their departure is at 6 am, so tonight they have to stay on board and rest. The tip is $20,500, or $1680 each. Despite Tom’s kvetching, I thought the guests were relatively low maintenance. Jess tells the captain that she got a message from the doctor, and he wants to check her finger. Rob changes his flight to the same open Jess is on for Bali. He tells Malia and Alex, and wonders how to tell Jess. Alex suggests putting whipped cream on his nipples, but Malia thinks he should print out a fake ticket and give it to Jess with some champagne.

It’s time for the preference sheet meeting, and Captain Sandy says they have return guests; Michelle and Johnny Damon. Johnny was an all-star baseball player, and they want a good time and good food. The last charter he complained about the food. We flash back to when stew Anastasia filled in for fired chef Mila, and see Michelle complaining that it wasn’t five star. The captain says, it needs to be steaming hot. The guests also want to go to a beach club, and have the captain join them for dinner one night. Captain Sandy says, they’re a lot of fun, but we flash back, and they look like a-holes. I think this is the group who started sh*t with the yacht docked next door. Jess goes to see the doctor, and Malia tells the rest of the crew that Rob wants to make a romantic gesture. Jess doesn’t know it, but Rob is going to Bali. Bugs suggests writing clues for her to find him waiting for her with the news, and he says he’ll make up a fake ticket. In Rob’s interview, he says he wants something creative, and out of his comfort zone. He wants to come up with something to show his intention. Jess returns, and says she got her finger back.

Bugs sets up candles on the top deck, and gets champagne ready. She goes to Jessica’s cabin, hands her the first clue, telling her, take this, and runs away, saying, gotta go. Rob waits, and in his interview, he says he wants it to be special, and he’s nervous. The first clue says, go to the bridge – you’re in trouble – make it quick – on the double. In her interview, Jess wonders if she’s getting fired and Bugs is running away. On the bridge, Malia holds the next clue. He wears an apron and cooks your food – be ten minutes late to set the mood. She goes to the galley, and Tom gives her the next clue, which leads her to the dining room where Bugs waits with a glass of champagne and her next clue. Follow the glitter to the main deck – your next clue check. Alex gives her the last one. He is tall and handsome – a face from GQ – upstairs with a surprise for you. Rob kisses her, and says she’s been asking about Bali, and he booked the same flight; it’s all done. Malia and the others sneak in, and they all toast to Bali. Jess tells Rob that he’s a good liar, and hugs him. The crew has a group hug, and Alex says, they’re all going to Bali. Rob thanks them for all being a part of it, and everyone goes to bed.

In their cabin, Jess tells Rob that she knew it was related to him, since he wasn’t there. Don’t ever be that good a liar again. He says, it wasn’t a lie. He wanted it to be a surprise.

In the morning, Jess asks if Bugs is excited to be getting a new stew, and Bugs says, it will be good to have another body back in interior. Everyone gets ready for the next charter, and Captain Sandy says, she’s here. It’s Aesha! She was on the last season as second stew, and she’s a lot of fun, really laid back. The captain says she’s so happy Aesha could come.

Next time, the yacht goes to Ibiza, which Aesha describes as the party capital of the Mediterranean, and a real life acid trip; Captain Sandy has to get into a very tight parking spot, and has a big audience; a guest falls and ends up bleeding; Bugs wears a tutu; and the guests fight.

✂️ Cutting It Close Again…

Plus, tomorrow is the return of Tyler Perry’s The Haves and The Have Nots, with a two-hour premiere starting at 8 pm. Somewhere in there, I’ll have to include that pesky sleep, so I might have to condense, but rest assured, I’ll include all the good juicy stuff. Until then, stay safe, stay punctual, and stay out of walk-in refrigerators.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

 

General Hospital

Michael goes to the ELQ office, and asks to see Ned. Brook says, sorry. She doesn’t see him on the calendar, but she’ll see if she can find some time for him. Michael says she’s really good at this. She says if she’s going to spend the next five years waiting out her hella contract, she’s going to be the best assistant ELQ has had.

Carly tells Sonny, Nelle is so predictable. She did exactly what Carly said she was going to. She had her court appointed visit with Wiley, took a selfie to prove it, and came straight to the MetroCourt to wave it in Carly’s face. Sonny says, and…? and Carly says, nothing. She didn’t hit Nelle, or pull her hair out by the roots, although God knows she wanted to. Jason comes in, and Carly tells him, congratulate her. He asks, why? and Sonny says, Nelle tried to provoke her, but Carly didn’t take the bait. Jason says, good work; keep that up. Carly says, she’ll try, and asks if he’s there on business. She says she’ll leave them to it, but first, how’s it going with Brando?

At the gym, Brando hits the bag, and Spinelli asks if he minds if he cuts in.

Nina tells Jax, that’s it? Just no? He says, there are several reasons, and she says she’s not asking him to buy the Empire State Building. When she was otherwise occupied, Maxie stepped up. She went above and beyond for Crimson, and deserves a raise and recognition. Why can’t he give her the money she deserves?

Anna comes up behind Finn at the hospital, puts her arms around him, and says, hi, fiancé. He says he hopes that’s her, and she laughs. He asks how her appointment was, and she says her bloodwork is perfect. She thought she’d celebrate by going to the gym. He says, sounds terrible, and she says she wanted to talk to him about Violet’s birthday party. Has he done any preparations? He says he keeps making lists and gets stuck. How can he make sure his little girl’s birthday is perfect, when her mom’s not there to celebrate? Anna says just concentrate on her, her favorite things, her favorite color. She asks what that is, and he says, purple, obviously. Anna puts it in her phone and says she’ll order purple party decorations; nothing understated, the full swag.

Lulu says Maxie isn’t going to believe what Brook just posted on Facebook. Skootch. They sit closer together, and Lulu says, Brook just posted a video of her desk at ELQ. Maxie says they do that at Crimson for promotional stuff. It’s kind of cute Brook is excited. Lulu says, forget the cuteness. Look. Maxie gasps.

Peter comes in, and Robert says, working late? Peter says he is, and Robert says he figures Peter’s always got time for him. Sit a spell. He insists.

Carly asks Sonny how Brando likes the garage. Sonny says, he likes it okay. He wants to go back to Chicago, but understands he has to stay. She says, maybe once he settles in, and makes the garage his own, he’ll see Port Charles isn’t so bad. She’s taking a snack upstairs, where Josslyn and Avery are showing Donna The Little Mermaid; apparently, you’re never too young to start watching. Sonny asks Jason if he was right about Brando accepting that he has to stay there.

Brando instructs Spinelli, telling him, try to target his punches. Spinelli apologies, saying, despite his glove and attire, his skills are better served behind a computer. Brando says he can’t let his aggression out on a computer. (God knows I’ve wanted to.) Spinelli says, too true, and confesses he knows Brando, even though there’s no way Brando could know him. He introduces himself  to Brando, saying, Damien Spinelli at his service. He says he’s good friends with the Corinthos family and Jason, and he’s aware Brando saved Carly’s life. He’s deeply grateful. It must feel empowering to charge in to the rescue, guns blazing. Brando asks if Spinelli knows someone who needs rescuing, and Spinelli says, as a matter-of-fact, he does, but they refuse to be rescued. Hitting something makes him feel less helpless. He punches the bag again, sort of.

Maxie asks Lulu if that’s a confidential deal memo under the paperweight. Lulu says, you can actually read the fine print. It’s a merger between an ELQ owned company and Mertin Med Tech. One of the deal points is closing a local facility in Port Charles. According to Brook’s story, she’s the only one who has viewed this so far. Maxie tells her, a good person would call Brook before anyone else sees it, and Lulu says, what about a good reporter?  

Ned gives Brook some things to file, and sees Michael. He says it’s a nice surprise, and asks if Michael misses work that badly. Michael says he was running errands, and thought he’d bring Wiley by and give him a tour. Brook tells Wiley, if he takes over the company in the future, pay more attention to the aesthetics, and update the hold music. Ned tells Michael, Brook isn’t a fan of the music, and she asks if Michael has ever been on hold. The music is great for insomniacs. Michael says he never noticed, but maybe he can take care of it when he comes back from leave. She says maybe she’ll get to first. She tells Michael, better watch out. He’s not going to recognize the place when he gets back. Ned says it’s nice to have the whole family back in business at ELQ.

Robert approaches Peter at the MetroCourt bar, but Peter says he doesn’t have much time to talk; he has a deadline. Robert says, it must be nice to be able to work anywhere, like in an upscale restaurant. Peter says, it has its perks. Robert wonders what Peter is going to order, and says, there’s nothing like the taste of freedom. Peter asks Robert what his point is, and Robert says he just came from a meeting with Obrecht. Peter asks if she’s still claiming she’s innocent, and Robert tells him, she says Peter is the one who’s responsible for killing Drew, and sending the assassin after Andre and Franco. Peter says, it’s so sad, the lengths Obrecht will go to destroy him. Robert says he thought they had a truce, and Peter says, so did he. That’s why he hired her to write a column for The Invader. She had him fooled. She must have been trying to get him to lower his guard. Robert says, imagine if she’d framed Peter for her crimes. That means Obrecht would be sitting there tonight.

Anna goes over things for Violet’s birthday party with Finn; the guest list, balloons, games, party favors. Finn says he thought showering Violet with gifts would be enough. Anna says if he thinks this is too much, wait until they plan their wedding. He says, right, the wedding. She says it’s been almost a year since he gave her the ring, and they don’t have a date. It’s fine, but she feels like they’re dancing around the subject. She knows she’s been gone a while, and that didn’t make it any easier, but she’s here now. She’s happy he and Violet have moved back in. Finn says they’re happy too, and she says she was wondering if the three of them will be moving forward together. He says he thought that’s what they were doing, and she says, it is, but are they moving forward like they are now, or as a married couple?

Peter tells Robert, it looks like justice prevailed, and Robert says, it depends on your definition of justice. Olivia asks if Robert is harassing her customers again. He says only because it encourages her to come by and stop him. Peter says he has to get to work, and gets up to move to a table. Robert tells him, enjoy his meal. Olivia asks what she interrupted, and Robert says, it’s nothing to worry about. She asks if he has time for her, and he says, absolutely. What’s on her mind? She says, it’s been a month since she’s heard from the WSB. Does he have any news about Dante?

Nina tells Jax, Aurora has millions. How hard can it be to pad the budget to keep her best employee happy? Jax says he thought the reason of Crimson’s autonomy was to keep him away it the first place. She says, okay, Mr. CEO. Give her the money she wants, and she’ll leave him alone. He asks if that’s what it boils down to, and she asks what he means. He says, the reason he can’t give her the money is her.

Maxie tells Lulu, she’s not a fan of Brook’s, but reporting this could mess things up. Lulu asks why she should feel bad about that, and Maxie says, she wouldn’t just be messing things up for Brook, but for ELQ and the Quartermaines, some of whom are Lulu’s former in-laws. Lulu says, technically, she’s not doing anything wrong by reporting a data breach. Brook took the video, and if she didn’t want it to go viral, she shouldn’t have hit post. Maxie says, a lot of people they love work for and with ELQ, but Lulu says, none of them are Brook. Maxie says, it’s Lulu’s call. Lulu looks over at Peter’s table, and says, actually, it’s Peter’s. She’ll be right back.

Brook answers the phone, and says, Mr. Quartermaine is in a meeting. Can she take a message? She says she’ll totally squeeze them in asap. She plays with Wiley, who’s sitting in his stroller.

Michael asks if Ned has heard anything, and Ned says the contract was prepared, and sent out for Llewellyn’s signature. They’re keeping the merger quiet until it’s finalized. Michael says he doesn’t envy Ned when it goes public. Nobody is going to like the anticipated layoffs. Ned says he’ll spin it. It will be great news for the shareholders. Michael thanks Ned for picking up the slack. He obviously left the company in good hands.

Spinelli tells Brando, a woman near and dear to his heart has moved in with a dangerous man. Brando asks, how dangerous? and Spinelli says, he’s done despicable things, both in the past and the present. While the lady involved believes his criminal past is behind him, Spinelli knows he’s in as deep as ever. Brando asks if Spinelli has proof, but Spinelli says, he’s a master of deceit. Spinelli doesn’t know if he should respect her wishes, and leave them alone, or fight to protect her from harm and heartbreak.

Jason tells Sonny, Brando’s not happy, but he knows he’s not going anywhere. He had his first customer while Jason was there. Willow’s mom Harmony said she needed work on her car; a 2019 model, fresh off the lot. Sonny asks if he’s concerned, and Jason says he checked with Willow. Harmony is living in a halfway house, and working as an aid at Turning Woods. Sonny says, no way she could afford a new car. Jason says, at first Harmony was friendly, but then she got nervous. She said she was going to take the car back to the dealer, but he suggested she let Brando take a look. Brando said there was nothing wrong with car.

Lulu tells Peter, she knows finance isn’t her usual beat, but a deal between ELQ and Med Tech? It’s important to the local economy. Not to mention The Invader would be first with the scoop. He tell her, go for it. His phone rings, and he says, yes, of course (🍷). He’ll be right there. He tells Lulu, nice job.

Robert wishes he could help Olivia, but he doesn’t know Dante’s status or location. She says it breaks her heart that her son feels he has to lock himself away from people he loves to keep them safe. They never got a chance to hug him. Does Robert still want to help? Some people have forgotten him already.

Finn tells Anna, he’d like get to married, if she still wants to. She says, of course (🍷), with all her heart. He asks how she wants to do it? A big church wedding, or something simple? Paris? A county clerk? She says, mmm, Paris. Although with a county clerk, she can wear a suit and carry a spray of flowers; no fuss or anxiety is appealing, but she doesn’t think it would work for Violet. He supposes Violet would like something big and sparkly, and Anna says she might like that too. He says, then that’s what they’ll do. They kiss, and Anna asks if Finn has any idea how happy he’s made her. He says, if it’s anything like how happy she’s made him, he has a good guess. They kiss again.

Robert tells Olivia, he can try reaching out to a couple of friends; strictly off the record. She thanks him, saying she’d be so grateful. He says, don’t thank him yet. It could come to nothing. She looks at her phone, and says, Mary, mother of God. He says, bad news? and she says, you might say that. She has to take care of something.

Lulu goes back to her table, and suggests they talk about Maxie’s big news; her well-deserved promotion. It took Nina long enough. Maxie says she’s gone above and beyond for Crimson, and it’s nice to finally be compensated for it. Lulu says she deserves all this and more, and Maxie thanks Lulu for encouraging her to do it. She can’t stop thinking about all the projects, and the photo shoots she’ll get to arrange. Lulu says it calls for a celebration, but Maxie asks if it can wait. She has an idea to run by Nina. Lulu says, now? and Maxie says, no time like the present. Order the champagne, and she’ll be right back to drink it.

Sonny asks if Jason thinks Harmony brought the car to Brando because Brando is connected to him. Jason thinks it’s possible. Sonny owned the property for years. Sonny asks if she asked about him, and Jason says, she mentioned them, but it made sense, since Jason was there when she showed up. But there’s something he doesn’t like about it, so he went to talk to Willow, who said Harmony was distancing herself. His guess is, Harmony is into something shady. Maybe doesn’t want Willow to know, but whatever it is it’s connected to Sonny. Or he could be overthinking it, and Harmony got a loan for a car she couldn’t afford, and is hiding it from her daughter. Sonny tells him, keep looking. He needs to know one way or the other.

Brando says, it’s obvious Spinelli cares for his friend, and Spinelli says, more than words can express. Brando says, if Spinelli thinks this guy can hurt his friend, he should follow his gut. Spinelli says it could create conflict which might be a negative in his domestic harmony. Brando says, not as negative as someone dying, and Spinelli says, this individual thinks nothing of eliminating anyone who stands in his way. Brando tells Spinelli, he’s got to step up. Better she no longer talks to him, than no longer talks period. Brando’s phone rings, and he says he has to take it.

Nina says, it’s her fault? but Jax says he’s not saying it’s her fault. He’s saying if he gives money to Crimson, how will it look to the other departments? She says, because they’re sleeping together? He says, it would look like favoritism, and he doesn’t want anyone to thinking it’s a quid pro quo. She says, Maxie is a deserving employee, and he says if he could help, he would, but they have to keep their boundaries straight. Work is work, and fun is fun. She says, in that case, he needs to go. He asks if they’re fighting, and she says, oh yes, no, I don’t know. He needs to go, so she can figure out how to tell Maxie she’s not getting the raise she deserves.

Brook and Wiley are eating cookies when Ned and Michael come out. Brook tells Wiley they’re busted; she found them in the diaper bag. Ned asks, who’s answering the phone? and Brook says she can snack and answer the phone at the same time. She gives him a list of phone calls he needs to return, in order of importance. Michael tells Ned to keep him posted on the deal, and Brook tells Michael that Wiley is a wonderful assistant. Ned says, speak of the devil. Llewellyn is on the phone. He asks if Llewellyn got the contract, then says they didn’t post anything online… The Invader? He doesn’t know what Llewellyn is talking about. Michael’s phone dings, and Ned says he can’t hear Llewellyn. Olivia barges in, and asks Brook what she’s done.

Lulu calls ELQ, saying she’s from The Invader, and working on a follow-up to her post about the ELQ merger. She’d love to get Ned’s comments – or his daughter’s.

Ned asks how Brook could be so careless. That document represented millions to ELQ. Now that deal and the profits are gone. She says she was trying to give the company a little social media buzz, and he says, by posting confidential documents on the web? She says it was on her personal Facebook page. She never thought it would go viral. Michael says, it was an honest mistake; there was nothing malicious. Olivia says, that honest mistake cost ELQ millions of dollars. Brook says, tell her how to fix it, but Ned says, she’s done enough. They have to talk damage control – in private. Ned and Olivia go into Ned’s office, and Michael tells Brook that he’s blown his fair share of deals. She tells him not to try and make it better, but he says, Ned will take care of it. Tell Ned that he had to take Wiley home. Brook says she’ll watch Wiley. She’d consider it a personal favor if he cleaned up this mess for her. He hands her Wiley, and goes into Ned’s office.

Sonny gives Brando some coffee, and Brando thanks him for the garage set-up. It’s a nice shop. Sonny says Jason told him that Brando had his first customer. What did he think? Brando says if Jason filled Sonny in, he has nothing more to tell him. Sonny says he got Jason’s point-of-view, but he’d like Brando’s. Brando says, it was a new car, and there was nothing wrong with it. Sonny asks if Brando thinks she came to ask about him, and Brando says, it’s possible. He didn’t tell her anything. Sonny says he didn’t think Brando would, and Brando says he has nothing to tell. He knows Sonny set him up to keep him in Port Charles, and it wasn’t supposed to have anything to do with Sonny’s business. Yet Sonny’s business found him anyway.

Carly says she got Jax’s text that he needed to talk to her. What’s up? He asks if Josslyn mentioned their recent conversation, and she says, no; why? He says he offered Josslyn an extended vacation in Australia, and Carly says she suggested the same thing, but Josslyn doesn’t want to go. Jax says maybe they should reconsider. It might be a good idea for Josslyn to be on the other side of the planet for a while. Far away from the dangerous situation in Port Charles. She says he means far away from Sonny, and he says, yes.

Maxie goes to Nina’s office, and Nina says, perfect timing. She was just thinking about texting Maxie. Maxie says she has a great idea, and Nina says, that’s fantastic, but please sit down. Maxie sits, and Nina congratulates her, saying, as of tomorrow, her new title is Crimson’s senior vice president of creative marketing. She’s going to fly all over the world, meet fashion figures, oversee fashion shoots, and approve articles. Maxie says, and finally get the salary she deserves. Jax approved everything, right? Nina says, not in so many words.

Anna sees Spinelli at the gym, and asks about Ellie and Georgie. She asks how Ellie’s new job is, and he says she loves it, and Georgie loves her school. She’s made more friends already than he has in a lifetime. Anna suggests them getting together with Violet, and Spinelli says, if she’s suggesting a playdate, that’s a resounding yes. She says she’s planning a family get-together, and Maxie and Peter will be there. Jason comes in, and Anna says, perfect. She’d like to talk to both of them about Peter

Robert sees Finn at the hospital, and says, just the man he’s looking for. Finn asks to what he owes the pleasure, and Robert congratulates him on moving back in with Anna. Finn says, news travels fast, and Robert says he’s more concerned about Peter. Finn says he’ll always be concerned when it comes to protecting his daughter, but this was important to Anna, and evidence suggests Obrecht was behind Drew’s death and the attempts on Andre and Franco’s lives. Robert says, nice and neat, and wrapped up. He’d like Finn to do him a favor. Stay on guard when he sees Peter around Anna. Finn asks if Robert is asking him to spy on Anna.

Anna tells Spinelli and Jason, Peter and Maxie are living together, and Georgie is going to be spending time there. Children are susceptible to an undercurrent of emotion, so for Georgie’s sake, she wishes they would accept the fact that Peter has been exonerated. Dislike him if they want, but don’t treat him like a criminal. He’s not. Spinelli says he already had a conversation with Maxie on this topic, and he told her he’s doing his best to live and let live. Spinelli’s phone rings, and he excuses himself. He sees two unanswered voicemails from Maxie.

Nina tells Maxie that Jax can’t find money in the budget, and there’s no room to pay her what she deserves. It might be available next year, but in the meantime, she can give Maxie more vacation days, days to work at home, so she can spend more time with James and Georgie…  Maxie says, but no money for a raise. Nina says she’s sorry, and Maxie says she doesn’t understand. She’s done so much for Nina and Crimson. She’s covered for Nina so many times, and missed out on time with James. Nina says she understands, and understands Maxie deserves a raise. Maxie says, understanding it and making it happen are two different things, and walks out, Nina calling after her.

Lulu reads, Brook Lynn must be the most incompetent secretary in the history of secretaries – Clint Buchanan. She says, you got that right, Mr. B.

Coming out of the office, Michael says, Olivia will handle the press contacts, and Olivia says ELQ regrets the accidental publication of confidential documents, and is investigating the matter. Ned says he’ll get in touch with Llewellyn and smooth things over. Michael says they know where to find him. He thanks Brook for looking after Wiley, and she says, Wiley is a lot less judgy than some other family members. Ned tells Brook to get his PR team on the line. Never mind; he’ll do it. Hold his calls and order dinner. It’s going to be a long night. On second thought, he’ll order dinner. Go home and hunker down. She says she knows how to order dinner. She wonders what The Invader is doing on her Facebook page, and says, of course (🍷). Lulu Spencer. Why is she not surprised?

Brando tells Sonny, his mother lied, but he’s been transparent. He did prison time, but he’s cleaned up his act and made a good life. Anyone coming after Sonny, stands between him and that life. Sonny says if this is Brando’s way of asking how long he has to stay in Port Charles, he can’t answer that. It could be a day or a year, or somewhere in between. Brando says Sonny knows his history. If there’s anything he can do to help sort things out so they can move on with their lives, say the word.

Carly tells Jax, Josslyn agreed to be home schooled. She hired Josslyn’s favorite teacher as a tutor, and Josslyn can still be on the volleyball team. Jax says, with bodyguards, and Carly says, unfortunately yes. He says, she wouldn’t need a bodyguard in Australia, but Carly says, she doesn’t want to go. Jax asks if they can get real, and actually parent, and agree their daughter isn’t safe there. Carly says, it’s not perfect, but it works, and he tells her, stop putting a spin on it. This is no way for their daughter to grow up. She needs a normal life somewhere. Carly says, this is normal for Josslyn, but Jax asks if Carly hears herself. She already lost Morgan to mob violence. He’s not losing Josslyn to it.

Sonny says he thought Brando didn’t want to be involved in his business, and Brando says he doesn’t, but he seems to be involved one way or the other. If Sonny’s enemies come back looking for information, wouldn’t it be helpful if Brando tells them what Sonny wants? Sonny appreciates the offer, but thinks it’s best for all of them if Brando stays away from his business. Brando says he guesses that’s it then, and Sonny says, he’s afraid so. Brando says he’s going back to work. He’s got to earn his keep somehow.

Carly says how dare Jax use Morgan’s death to manipulate her; they’re done here. He apologizes, saying he was insensitive. He just wants to keep Josslyn safe. She asks if he thinks she doesn’t, and he says he knows it’s hard for her too. He doesn’t want to take Josslyn from Port Charles; he has plenty of reason to stay himself. But no reason is more important than their daughter’s safety. Can they talk as parents about how to keep their daughter safe? Carly says she wants things to stay the way they are, with them both monitoring the situation. They can figure out any changes they need to make together. If that means going to Australia, great. If it means staying here, great. But they need to make decisions for Josslyn together.

On the phone, Nina says, it could have gone better. Maxie didn’t take it well, and she could really use a friend.

Lulu asks Maxie how it went, and Maxie says, horrible. Lulu says she thought the promotion and raise was a done deal. She ordered champagne. Maxie says Lulu will have to drink it without her. She just got denied, and she’s going to get even.

Spinelli says, over his dead body, and jets. Anna says she knows Jason and Spinelli are good friends, and Jason has a tremendous influence over Spinelli; he admires Jason. She was wondering if Jason could soften Spinelli’s attitude toward Peter, but Jason says, he’s sorry. He can’t lie. He can’t pretend to believe something he doesn’t.

Robert says he wants Finn to stay on guard; nothing more. Finn says he wants to talk about Violet’s upcoming birthday party, and Robert says, he’s invited of course (🍷). Finn says, yeah, okay, but Anna also invited Peter. He wonders if Robert thinks he can be cordial for a couple of hours. Robert says he’ll try, but can’t promise anything. He tells Finn, eyes open.

Brook storms into the MetroCourt, and finds Lulu. She says, you bitch, and Lulu says she was just enjoying Brook’s Facebook post. Brook asks, how could she? and Lulu says she just reports news; Brook makes it. Publicly posting ELQ’s most top secret business plan? For a has-been, Brook sure knows how to stay relevant.

Tomorrow, Peter says he and Maxie are getting married, Nina asks if Maxie is entertaining other offers, and Anna asks Jason what it will take to convince him that he’s wrong.

👨🏻‍🍳 Top Chef returned tonight, and the chefs were in Hawaii for redemption. This season, previous contestants are returning to see how they’ve progressed since their last competition. The quickfire challenge was in three parts. First, the chefs had to break down an artichoke, and the fastest chef who did it correctly, moved on. The rest had to peel and separate and orange, with the fastest again moving on, and the last group had to shell twenty almonds perfectly – without a nutcracker. They then proceeded to split into three teams, with the three fastest chefs being captains, and were required to make two different dishes with the prepped ingredients. The one thing I learned, was that PFTS stands for, I got people for that sh*t, which one of the chefs said as he tried to break down an artichoke. I don’t, which is why I don’t make artichokes. Moving on to the elimination challenge, the chefs had to make a seafood feast on the beach, with no electricity or appliances – just their knives and their talent. They were to make three cohesive dishes, family style. Restauranteur Jeremiah Tower was guest judge, and pronounced Chef Gregory technically perfect as he got the winning spot. But poor handlebar mustache Joe (who I actually remember from a previous season) was out. As usual, all the food looked impressive to me, and I was craving blackened swordfish by the end. At this point in the game, there are too many people for me to even keep track of their names, but once they’re weeded out, I’ll be more detailed. It looks like a fun season, with the chefs going to Europe for the finale.

General Hospital

Drew tells Kim that he doesn’t think Sam will tell anyone about Oscar. She feels the same way about Elizabeth; she respects their wishes. Kim asks if they can get through Oscar’s next birthday without him knowing about the tumor, and Drew says, sure. She says he deserves to blow out the candles without worrying. He says, her gift, and she says, their gift.

Elizabeth tells Cameron that she’s not defending Oscar. She just doesn’t want him to make things worse. Oscar was out of line, but Cameron kissed his girlfriend. Oscar punched him, so let that be the end of it. She asks Cameron to be the bigger person. He’s a strong guy; he can can take it. Cameron says Oscar isn’t as fragile as she thinks.

At the MetroCourt, Ryan (as Doc) tells Lucy it’s good to see her. Which is weird, since they must have gone there together. She says he’s usually polite, but this is nice, compared to how it’s been after what she did. He says, it’s water under the bridge. She tells him that she’ll never forgive herself for throwing their marriage away for a fling with Scotty. He asks if she’s drinking from the poison well again, and she says so much for the bridge.

Maxie meets Lulu at the MetroCourt, apologizing for being late. She took the stairs. Lulu says, from the lobby? Maxie doesn’t trust the elevators anymore. The last time she was on one, she got stuck. Lulu asks for how long, and Maxie says, long enough. Although alone would have been better than being stuck with Peter.

A young woman meets Curtis. She says he looks like his picture. He says it’s nice to meet her, and calls her Miss Gilmore. She tells him to call her Sasha. She wonders what the deal is with the mystery meeting. He says it’s about her mother.

Anna asks if Nina has spoken to Valentin, and Nina says that’s why she’s there. Finn woke the beast that is Cassandra. Anna says, there were extenuating circumstances, but yes, she’s awake. Her whereabouts are unknown. Nina says Valentin thinks she’s in danger. Is she?

Julian arrives at Kim’s place, as Drew is leaving. He sees Kim’s face, and asks, what’s wrong?

Sam thinks she and Oscar should hang out; take Scout to the park. He says he’d like that. They could feed the ducks. She says that’s Scout’s favorite thing. He suggests ice cream too, and she says she lied. That’s Scout’s favorite. Oscar says they have a plan

Elizabeth tells Cameron that Oscar was probably feeling insecure. He asks if that makes it okay for Oscar to punch him? Franco is in the other room, and says she’s just asking him to see it from Oscar’s point-of-view. Elizabeth says, it happened, it’s over, let it stay that way. She tells him to apologize to Josslyn. Cameron says he did, and she says, do it again. You can’t kiss someone who doesn’t want you to. He says he’ll call her, but Elizabeth wants him to do it in person. He can get an Uber, and be there in ten minutes.

Maxie tells Lulu, in a way, she feels sorry for Peter. Lulu says a big, strong guy having a panic attack; she can’t picture it. He’s always in control. They agree he might have PTSD. Maxie says he was hyperventilating. He freaked out, and took off his shirt. Lulu is like, what? and says, it must have been intense. Maxie says, his abs have abs. Not that she was paying attention.

Ryan tells Lucy it sneaks up on him every now and again, but it’s in the past. Lucy says now he’s happily married to Laura. Lucy asks how she is, and he says, good. She asks when Laura is coming back, and he says, unfortunately, no time soon. Spencer is having trouble at school after losing a student council election. Lucy says he’s still struggling with his father being murdered. It doesn’t just go away. Ryan says, no it doesn’t. She says she’s sorry. He’s newly married, and his wife is across the ocean. It must be lonely.

Anna asks Nina why Valentin thinks Cassandra is a threat to her. Because of Cassandra’s infatuation with him? Nina says Anna knows what she did to Cassandra. She did it in self-defense. Anna says, it’s a pity she survived. Nina agrees. She says, Cassandra is on the loose. She could turn Nina in, or retaliate.

Sasha tells Curtis that her mom died two years ago. Why is he bringing her up? He explains he’s a PI, and was contacted for a client, and good friend, to possibly find her daughter.

Anna tells Nina, given how sick Cassandra was the last time she saw her, she thinks Nina is safe. For now. There’s no promise for the future. Nina says Valentin thinks she needs a bodyguard. Anna says the last thing he wants is to lose her, but Nina says she’s already lost to him.

Curtis tells Sasha that his client gave birth while she was in a coma. The baby was taken and given to a woman who adopted her. He’s following leads using records from an attorney who was involved, and there’s a possibility it could be her. Sasha says she’s not adopted.

Elizabeth asks Franco if she messed that up, and he says she handled it beautifully. She says Oscar was technically the one at fault. She’s not asking Cameron to apologize for the fight, but to Josslyn. He should, right? Franco says, absolutely. Elizabeth says Oscar doesn’t have much time. The tumor is growing. Kim has exhausted all medical avenues, so he’s possibly dying.

Julian says Kim can talk to him. She knows, and she will someday. He says, so something is going on. She says she’s asking him to understand. She can’t tell him right now. Julian says, okay, and asks what else is going on. Are lots of babies being born at GH? She says she was in the ER with Oscar.

Maxie laughs with Lulu about Nina’s face when the elevator door opened. Lulu points out that they’re still talking about it, and Maxie says it was traumatic. She’s changing the subject, and asks Lulu how’s work? Lulu says there’s side to tabloid journalism that’s very freeing. Maxie asks if Peter is pushing too hard, but Lulu says he pushes the perfect amount. She was worried she’s spend too much time working closely with him, but they’re actually working on a story. Which brings Lulu to why she asked Maxie to dinner. The Ryan Chamberlain piece Peter is publishing? She’s writing it.

Lucy knows her and Doc’s relationship has been strained for a long time, but she hopes he knows he can talk to her anytime about anything. He bets Felicia feels the same way, and Lucy says, of course, but this is different. She doesn’t want him to always think of her as the cheater. She’s the one he opened up to about his and Ryan’s trauma as children. He said he felt freed afterwards when he realized it was over, and knew he couldn’t save Ryan from his own mind. It helped him to be able to become the man he is today. Ryan says, enough. No more tripping down Memory Lane.

Maxie thought Lulu wanted nothing to do with the story. Lulu says she didn’t, but Peter was going to run it, no matter what. He came to her, wanting to give her first crack at it, saying she was his most ethical reporter. She’s going to be as sensitive as humanly possible. Maxie says, even still, be prepared for backlash. Has she talked to Doc. Lulu says she did, and he gave her his blessing.

Lucy apologizes. She knows it’s painful to think about the way Ryan tortured Felicia and Maxie. She heard that Lulu was writing a story about it, and Ryan says he’s okay with that. Lucy is surprised, and he says, the more we know about the psychotic mind, the better. (Insert tinkly the more you know music here.) Maxie hears, and says that’s enlightened of him, but she doesn’t think her mom will feel the way.

Kim tells Julian it was low blood sugar; it’s happened before, and unfortunately will happen again. Julian says now he understands why she’s worried about him. She says Julian’s timing is perfect; she’s been missing him. He says, it’s nice to be missed. He missed her too, but he’s there to see Oscar.

Drew joins Sam and Oscar. Sam says she was just leaving. Scout is still sleeping, and Danny has Annabelle in his room. She hopes it’s okay with Drew if they stay the night. Drew says he’d love it. He asks Oscar how the project is going, and Oscar says it’s getting there. Sam asks to talk to Drew, and they go out on the patio. Cameron comes in, and Oscar says he thought Cameron was grounded. Cameron says his mom gave him a pass to see Josslyn.

Sasha tells Curtis she’s heard the story a hundred times, about how she was almost born in the car during a snowstorm. Curtis says, what if it’s just that? A story. If there’s the slightest chance, wouldn’t she want to know? She says he has the wrong person. He sees her wallet, and it’s decorated with equestrian designs. He says he sees she loves horses. The woman who hired him is a champion rider.

Nina tells Anna that she and Valentin are getting divorced; the papers just need to be signed. Anna was there when she left. Anna says she thought he’d figure out a way to win her back. Nina says, what he did with Peter was monstrous. Anna says she agrees, but they were young, and the situation untenable. It had nothing to do with the child Nina lost. Nina says when she woke up from her coma, her child was gone, along with any chance to have another. It hit her in visceral way. She has to admit, it’s all emotional, and not rational. She wonders why she’s talking to Anna, since they’re not friends. Anna says, maybe that’s why. It’s easier. She tells Nina that she’s sorry for her loss.

Elizabeth tells Franco, as a mom, she can’t wrap her head around it; it’s a parents worst nightmare. You don’t want to think about something like that happening. Poor Drew. Franco says, oh no. He did something stupid. They were discussing kids, and he said something clever like, it’s great how they grow older and mature. Elizabeth says he didn’t know. Just like Cameron doesn’t know. His resentment is normal, but when Oscar doesn’t make it, he’ll remember being mean, and wishing Oscar would disappear to clear a path to Josslyn. Franco says, survivor’s guilt is part of the process. She says she can only make sure he doesn’t do something where his shame is warranted. Franco says the boys are probably bonding as they speak. Elizabeth hopes so.

Cameron tells Oscar that his mom forced him to apologize to Josslyn again. He feels like he and Josslyn had worked it out, and he tried to tell her, but she wouldn’t listen. She freaked out. Oscar says his mom is acting weird too. He asks if Cameron’s mom knows he’s there, and Cameron says she’s all for it. She wants them to be friends. Oscar asks why? and Cameron says they are friends; he doesn’t want it awkward. Are they cool? Oscar says, no hard feelings, and Cameron opens his arms for a hug. He says he’s kidding, and Oscar should have seen his own face.

Sam apologizes to Drew. She didn’t mean to mention it to Kim. Drew says it’s okay. Kim is dealing with it herself. It’s against his advice, but that’s the way it is. He says he wanted to talk to Kim about what they’re going to do next. Sam is guessing it didn’t go so well.

Julian tells Kim that he’s trying get Oscar to like him more; or at least have it not so toxic. Kim says Oscar has high standards, and Julian says he got tickets for Hamilton. He’d like to take her and Oscar; would he like it. She says he’s crazy about the recording, and thought they’d have to turn it into a movie for him to see it. She ask when they’re going, and Julian says April 17th. Okay, two things here from someone who would also like to see Hamilton, but can’t afford it. I’m pretty sure Julian would be able to get tickets for a date sooner than next April, and Lin-Manuel Miranda has promised it will eventually be on DVD with (hopefully) the original cast. That’s probably when I’ll see it.

Ryan tells Maxie that he’d prefer not to delve into the past, but the story was going to be told regardless. Isn’t it better if Lulu tells it? Maxie is worried about her mom, and Lucy says they all are. Ryan says she’s the first thing he thought of. Maxie says when she told Felicia it might happen, she was shaken. Lucy says, it doesn’t go away. Ryan murdered someone in front of Felicia terrorized her, and kidnapped her child. Ryan says he’ll do anything to help. Maybe he can talk to her, and they can work through their feelings together. That would be seriously weird for a psychiatrist to suggest.

Anna says maybe Nina needs to focus on working through her feelings about the child she lost. Nina says it’s a long story. Her mother died, and left something that might imply the child is alive. It’s silly, but she’s been fantasizing about her child being alive. She knows it’s completely crazy, but one part of her mind can’t keep it straight, and Valentin is tied up in that. Anna says she’d be the last person to defend Valentin, but she can say that he really loves her, and honestly thinks he would do anything for her.

Sasha tells Curtis that all of her friends’ moms are terrified of horses, and hers is too. Does she live in a cult? It’s not like there’s an equestrian gene; it’s probably a coincidence. Curtis says it would mean the world to his friend to find her daughter. Sasha says it’s not her. Her mom is her best friend. He says he’s just asking if she’ll take the DNA test. If she’s telling the truth, she won’t ever see him again. He asks her to at least consider it.

Lucy asks Ryan if he’s sure he wants to reopen old wounds. He says he can manage – for Felicia. Maxie tells him to be casual. Don’t mention that they talked about it. Just act like the awesome friend he is. He says he’s on it. He knows exactly what to do. Maxie goes back to her table, and Lucy says she’ll send a text to Felicia. They can invite Mac and Felicia over. It will be like old times. Ryan says he was hoping get her alone. I’ll bet.

Maxie tells Lulu that Doc is fine with the story, but she seemed off get the vibe that Lucy was trying to distract him. Lulu says, he’s having a meal with his ex, and Maxie says, Lucy wouldn’t do that. She’s just being paranoid.

Julian asks Kim if something is wrong with April, and she says, it’s a long time away; next spring. So much could happen between now and then. He says, between them? She’s not being very optimistic. She asks if they could focus on the here and now. He suggests doing both, and she agrees. He says he knows what he wants to do right now, and kisses her.

Drew tells Sam that he gets what Kim feels. Part of him agrees, but Oscar needs to hear it from his parents that he’s sick. Imagine if he found out another way. Sam says that’s horrible, but doesn’t think it will happen. Drew says, secrets have a way of coming out, and not in the way we want. Sam tells him to feel free to ignore her observation, but what’s bothering him is that it’s out of his control. The only part of the situation he can control is telling Oscar. Drew says, it’s dishonest. Sam gets that, and Drew has been carrying the weight for Oscar because he loves him and Oscar is his son. If it gets too heavy, he can lean on her. Drew says he really can’t.

It’s time for Franco and Elizabeth to divide and conquer. She’s going to help Cameron with his math, while Franco helps Jake with his book report. Elizabeth tells Franco that what she told him about Oscar stays between them. His parents will tell him in their own time, and in their own way. He promises not to screw it up. Elizabeth goes upstairs, and Franco looks on his laptop at the site for the Port Charles Children’s Brain Tumor Institute; leaders in pediatric brain cancer. He calls Drew, leaving a message that Elizabeth told him.

Drew tells Sam that he wants to accept her offer, but he can’t. When she’s around, he wants what they used to have. It’s not good for either one of them. He says, thanks, but he has to go through it alone. Sam tells him, good luck. Alone, he watches Oscar through the window.

Elizabeth calls for Franco, and he says he’ll be right there. Cameron starts to come in. Franco is still on the phone, and says if Drew wants to talk, he’s there. He’s so sorry about Oscar. Cameron hears, and slips back out. Franco goes upstairs, and Cameron comes inside. He sees the laptop, and says, brain tumor?

Kim thanks Julian for coming by, even if technically, it wasn’t to see her. She needed this. She needed him; more than he knows. She kisses him. He picks her up, and carries her to the bedroom. I presume that’s where he’s headed anyway.

Nina thanks Anna for the tea and talk, and Anna tells her, any time. Nina asks Anna what it’s like, reuniting with her son. Anna says, a fraud. It’s the best word she can come up with that defines their relationship. If she can even call it that. It’s tenuous; a sliver of a thing. Nina says, but Anna knows where he is, and he knows who she is. Nina would give anything for that.

Sasha asks Curtis how does she know it’s not a scam, and he’ll use her DNA to clone her? He says his client is just a woman, desperate to find out if her child is still out there. The odds are that she’s not who they’re looking for anyway, but it will help him scratch her name off the list, and take the search in a different direction. Curtis puts an envelope on the table. He tells Sasha to take it at her convenience, shoot him a text, and he’ll pick it up. Sasha says, fine. Even if it’s only to prove she’s not his client’s daughter. She does kind of look like Nina, but are we not getting the satisfaction of playing the guessing game with the characters we already have?

Lulu has to get back to work. She promised to bring Peter something to eat. Maxie says he can order and have it delivered. Lulu says she told him that he’s only allowed to ask about her every three hours. He talks about her and James incessantly, to the point that they weren’t getting any work done. Maxie asks Lulu to tell Peter that she hopes he feels better about the elevator.

Ryan tells Lucy, no, but she says Felicia needs all of them. She tells him, too late. She already sent the message, and got the quickest confirm ever. It’s a win-win. He’ll be with friends to lift him up, and they can all reassure Felicia that Ryan will never hurt her again.

Tomorrow, Ava says Julian isn’t telling her everything, Valentin tells Curtis to proceed with caution, and Michael isn’t okay.

⚓ Along with The Haves and the Have Nots, Below Deck (the Original) will return on October 2nd. Tonight, besides a rerun of their last reunion, Bravo treated us to Captain Lee’s Yachtrageous Moments. It was basically Captain Lee narrating clips of what’s happened up until now. It was very enjoyable, since not only do I have a daddy crush on Captain Lee, we got to revisit such classics as Steve’s foam party and Eddie’s avoidance of admitting he was sleeping with Rocky. A colossal f*ck up, in the words of the captain.
