What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts, recaps, and the whole GH enchilada on Fridays)

General Hospital

Willow finds Sasha in the nook and says she thought Sasha was her friend. Sasha flashes back to getting busy with Michael, and says she is. Willow asks, then how could she do this?

In TJ’s office, Alexis asks if they know what caused it, but he says, not yet. They’re doing everything possible to find out. Molly says, it makes no sense. She and Dante just got engaged. (Like that negates the possibility of death.) TJ says, that reminds him, and gives Alexis Sam’s ring in a plastic bag. Kristina says, it should be on Sam’s finger, but TJ says, not during an autopsy. Alexis says, Portia told her, but Kristina says, they’re not cutting open her sister.

On the phone, Jason asks if Carly minds staying at the Quartermaines. He’d feel better if she was there for Danny and Scout. Carly promises to stick around, and Jason says he’s got to go. She says she loves him, and he says he loves her too. Drew comes in and Carly asks, how’s Scout? He says, she fell asleep in his arms. It’s hard seeing his girl in that much pain… It’s hard knowing she’ll wake up and find out her mother’s not there and there’s nothing he can do. Carly says, he can be there, but he says, it’s not enough. She needs Sam. He needs Sam. What does he know about raising a little girl? She says she knows how much he loves Scout, but he says he doesn’t know how to raise her on his own. She tells him to lean on the family. Let them help him. Michael comes in and asks Drew, what’s wrong? Are his poll numbers down?

Nina meets Ava for drinks, and says, Ava wanted to ask her something? Ava says she does. She wants to start by saying she knows she’s a fool for throwing their friendship away. Nina says, no argument there, and Ava says she’s grateful Nina forgave her, but wanted to ask if Nina thinks they’ll ever be able to get back to the friendship they had.

Diane knocks at Robert’s door, then comes in. She says she’s sorry. She thought he’d be alone, but that’s obviously not the case.

Carly says, there’s something she needs to tell Michael, and Drew says he’ll be upstairs with Scout. He leaves, and Michael asks, what’s going on? Carly says she has terrible news, and he asks if it’s Lulu, but she says, it’s not Lulu. It’s Sam. Michael says, Dante texted him that everything went great, and Sam was fine. Carly says, she was fine. Then she wasn’t. They lost her. He asks if she’s saying Sam is dead.

Kristina says, no, but TJ says, an unexplained death… Kristina says she doesn’t care, and Molly says, stop. Doesn’t she want to find out what happened? Kristina says, of course (🍷), and Molly says, that’s how the find out. Kristina says she doesn’t want them to cut Sam open, but Molly says, it’s the only way. Kristina tells Alexis that she’s sorry, and Alexis says she wasn’t thinking. Molly says she never does (and I slap her in my mind), but Alexis says, not today. They have to make arrangements for Sam. TJ says he can have a patient advocate walk her through the process, and he leaves. Kristina says she’s sorry, and Molly says, her too. Alexis says she needs them both to stick together, and they agree they will.

Sasha says she’s sorry, but Willow says she doesn’t want to hear Sasha’s excuses. She told Sasha in confidence. Why did she tell Cody? Sasha says she trusted Cody, and Willow asks if she knows he got drunk and punched Drew. Sasha says she heard, and Willow says she trusted Sasha. Now Michael found out in the worst possible way. He didn’t come home last night. Sasha asks if they’ve talked today, and Willow says, he’s willing to give her another chance. He values their marriage. Sasha flashes back to getting busy with Michael and says she’s sorry. She never meant to hurt Willow. Willow says, then she should have kept it between them. Who else did she tell? Sasha says, no one. She only told Cody because they were in a relationship. Willow says she hopes Sasha dumped him for violating her confidence the way Sasha violated hers, and Sasha says, Willow will be happy to know they’re not together anymore, but that’s not why

Holly says she was just leaving. It’s good to see Diane. Diane says, it’s good to see her too. She’s here so often. Holly tells Robert, until next time, and leaves. Diane says, and there always is a next time with that one. She didn’t mean to interrupt. Robert asks if she’s here on business or pleasure, and Diane says, business, alas. She’s dropping off a motion to dismiss the Colban case. He asks if she’s kidding, but she says she’s not. Read ‘em and weep. Until next time. She leaves.

Alexis says she doesn’t know how to get through, and Felicia says, just keep moving from one minute to the next. Alexis asks what she does this minute, and Felicia says she can walk Alexis through the necessary forms, and as a friend, make it painless as possible. Alexis says, just do it (I’m pleased that she pulls out a raggy tissue, as we all would, or at least I would), and Felicia says she has to decide on a funeral home. Alexis says, Dante said he’d prefer she make the arrangements, but she has nothing yet. Kristina says she’ll be back, and leaves. Molly suggests the funeral home that they used for Irene, and Alexis thanks her. Molly and TJ leave, and Alexis cries.

TJ asks how Molly is doing, and she says she’s fine. She has to be. He takes her hands and asks how she’s doing really. She says, heartbroken, angry, scared… She just lost Irene, then there was that craziness with Kristina, now losing Sam. She’s not sure how much more she can take. He hugs her.

Michael asks how Sam is gone, and Carly says, it doesn’t make sense. He says, Sam’s been here for him like the big sister he never had. He asks if she wants any help, and she says, the kids are asleep and she’s staying in case they need her. He asks if Willow knows, but she says she doesn’t think so. He doesn’t have to make it better for everyone else. He says he can’t sit around feeling sad, when his phone rings. Kristina asks if he’s heard, and he says, just now. Where is she? She says, at GH in the chapel. Can he come? She needs him.

Nina tells Ava that she gave up everything for a man and values her female friendships more highly now. (Hear her, ladies. In my dating days, I never once ditched my girlfriends. Men might come and go, but your girlfriends are forever.) It will take time and effort, but she’s willing to work at it. Ava says, so is she, and they toast to friends. Nina’s phone rings, and she looks at it, but ignores it. She says she’s worried about Willow. She’s not all right because Drew convinced her that he was a decent guy. Ava says, Drew the candidate or Drew the Quartermaine? and Nina says, Drew barely escaped a scandal. Cody got drunk and punched Drew in the face at the Brown Dog Bar. (I so badly want to go to a dive called the Brown Dog Bar.) Drew was fine and Cody went to jail, but not before he announced Drew was kissing his nephew’s wife. Ava says, Nina’s not telling her that Drew and Willow…

Willow asks why Sasha and Cody broke up. What did he do? (Ha-ha-ha! As pissed as she is at Sasha, she figures it was him.) Sasha says, Cody is a great guy. He probably wouldn’t have said what he did if they were still together, but it’s not that. Willow asks, why? and Sasha says, they can’t be together. It turns out they’re cousins – first cousins. She found out Robert Scorpio is her father. Willow asks, how? and Sasha says, after lying to her for her whole life, her mother told her the truth. Willow says, Sasha told her that her mother was dead. She lied? Sasha says, yes, and Willow says she’s starting to think she doesn’t know Sasha at all.

There’s a knock at Diane’s office door, and she says, her favorite client. Jason walks in, and she says, what’s up? He says, something happened, and he wants her to hear it from him. Sam had a heart attack this evening. Diane asks if she’s okay, but he says, they couldn’t save her. Sam died.

In the chapel, Kristina looks up and says, here I am. Why did You do it? She gets up and almost leaves, but comes back. She says, look. I said I’d go to therapy. I said I’d go to group. I said I’d learn how to be a better sister. I did all those things and now this. After I already lost my daughter and can barely breathe, now You go and take my sister too? Why? Why, God, why? Answer me. I don’t get it and I want answers. I want to know how and why did You do this. You just took her from me and left me here with nothing. I have nothing left and I don’t know what to do. She cries and says, haven’t I suffered enough? Michael comes in, and Kristina says, Sam is dead. She’s gone. He holds her as she cries.

Sasha says she told everyone her mother was dead, but she only wanted it to be true. She may as well have been, since she was never there. Her mother never told her who her father was. Willow says, but when she realized Sasha was seeing Cody… Sasha says, she decided to do the right thing for once. She’s a two-faced, lying… Willow says she’s sorry Sasha and Cody can’t be together, but she’s fighting for her marriage because Sasha couldn’t keep her mouth shut. Sasha says she’s sorry, and Willow says she grew up in a cult and it was hard for her to trust anyone. Michael is willing to give her another chance. This hurt him. Sasha says she never should have told Cody something Willow shared in confidence (oh come on, stop acting like no one does this), but Willow needs to accept that everything that happened, happened because she kissed Drew. And not just once. If she’s so concerned about trust and honesty, look in the mirror. She has no one else to blame for this mess but herself. (Brava and grazie.)

Holly goes into her hotel room and can see it’s been tossed.

Diane says she can’t imagine what’s happening with Alexis. She should call her. Jason says, she’s making arrangements, and Diane says she doesn’t understand. Sam was fearless. She was invincible. Nobody was tougher and to lose her like this is unthinkable… She’s sorry. She can’t imagine what he’s going through. She knows how much Sam loved him. Jason says, he loved her, and she says, they all did. She was somebody who faced their problems head on. She always admired that about Sam. He says he thought she should know, and she thanks him. He asks, what’s wrong? (because that’s not enough) and she says, her problem is inconsequential… All right. He seems to want an extra helping of grief. They sit down, and she says she took something to Robert’s office and when she walked in, there was Holly. He asks if something happened, and she says, not overtly, but she just has to face the truth. Robert is still in love with Holly.

Nina says, Drew told Michael, and Ava asks, why? Nina says, somebody videoed Cody’s rant and sent it to Ned, and Ned threatened to blackmail Drew. Willow wanted to tell Michael, but she had no chance. And because Drew wanted to save his campaign, he convinced Willow not to tell Michael in the first place. It goes to show how Willow is a better person than she and Drew will ever be. Now Willow knows the kind of man Drew is. He’s a slick, smooth backstabbing bastard. Ava says, Nina is taking it rather personally, and Nina says, Willow is her daughter. Ava says, there’s more than that. Spill. Nina says she and Drew have had sex more than once, and Ava nearly chokes on her martini.

Sasha says, Willow keeps talking about the kiss, but they know it wasn’t just one time. Stop blaming everyone else and tell the truth. Willow says, it was a mistake, and Sasha says, both times? Willow says, yes, and they agreed there was no reason to hurt Michael. Sasha says, so she decided to lie. Be mad at Drew or herself, but leave her out of it. Willow says, if Sasha hadn’t told Cody, Cody wouldn’t have announced it, and Sasha says, she’s sick of everybody justifying their bad behavior. She was warned about the Quartermaines, but she had no idea. Willow will fit right in. Willow says, that’s not fair, but Sasha says, what’s not fair is Willow judging everyone else for her own mistakes. She’s quitting. She can’t work in this snake pit any longer. She can’t be with the man she loves, and she’s lost her best friend. Why stay? Carly walks in, and Sasha says, what is it?

Alexis asks Molly where her sister is, and Molly says, she’s in the chapel with Michael. Kristina asked if Alexis needed anything, but she didn’t say Alexis needed her here. Alexis says, Molly is still grieving her own child. If she’s holding it together for herself, that’s the way she needs to grieve. If she’s holding it together for her, don’t. It’s too much. It’s just all too much. They hug.

Kristina tells Michael that she was thinking about the time Sam went with her to get birth control for the first time. Sam took her there. Sam was there for all her firsts. Sam taught her self-worth and not to pick a partner that treated her like crap, but she didn’t listen. Michael says, they all make mistakes, and Kristina says, when she was with Dawn of Day, Sam risked her life to save her. He says, Sam would do anything for the people she loved and who loved her, and Kristina says, there was never judgement. If she wanted advice and guidance and couldn’t go to her mom, she’d go to Sam, and Sam wouldn’t think any less of her. He tells her to take the advice and guidance and use it. Be there for her mom and Molly like Sam was for her. Kristina says, to be honest, she’s the middle sister and still figuring it out. She can’t be the big sister. He says, he’s not saying she should fill Sam’s shoes, and she says she can’t be the big sister. She’s not supposed to be. He says, it’s not supposed to be this way, but it is, and they have to face that.

Diane says, when she found them together, she could tell by looking at their faces that she’d interrupted something. Sasha is Robert and Holly’s daughter. Jason says he’s surprised, and Diane says, it was a surprise to Robert too. He’s thrilled to have another daughter. Jason asks if things have changed, and she says, Robert told her that she’s the only woman in his heart. He says, she thinks he’s lying? and she says, only to himself. She believes he cares, but the way he feels about her is not the way he loves Holly.

Michael puts his arm around Kristina, and she cries. Willow calls, but he ignores it.

Willow leaves Michael a message that she heard about Sam. She’s so sorry. His mom said he was with Kristina. Call back when he has the chance.

Ava says, oh boy, and Nina says, it started out as hate sex, but when she found out about the thing Drew was having with Willow, she started sleeping with him to distract him from her. It’s not a great plan. Ava asks if Willow knows, but Nina says, no, and she can never find out. Ava says, Nina can’t guarantee Cody doesn’t know about it, and Nina says, he does. He threw it in their faces at the bar. Ava says, so Ned knows… and everybody in the bar. Nina says, Drew convinced them that Cody is a drunk who lies, and she’s sure he paid them off. It won’t go viral. In spite of Ned’s threat, the Quartermaines don’t want a scandal. Ava says, Nina needs to tell Willow before she hears it from someone else, and Nina says, Willow will hate her. Ava says, at least Nina can say they’re through. Don’t let a man ruin her relationship with her daughter. She learned the hard way. Put her relationship with Willow above everyone else. Nina says, her child will always come first. She just hopes Willow’s marriage survives Drew’s selfishness.

Willow knocks on Drew’s door and says she just heard. She’s so sorry. Drew says he keeps losing the people he loves, and she hugs him. She says she’s so sorry, and he says he keeps thinking about Scout having no mom. He doesn’t know how to help her through. She says, he’ll find a way, and he says he wishes he was the man she sees when she looks at him. That man is the father Scout needs. Willow says, he is that man. Whatever is ahead, he’ll handle it. He says he doesn’t know how to be a parent, and she promises he’s not alone. He pushes her hair back, and as many times as I yell, no, no, no! at the TV, she kisses him.

Alexis says, Sam’s not coming back, and Molly says, no, she’s not. She doesn’t know what she’s supposed to do. Nothing is going to be the same. It’s never going to be. Alexis says she’s glad Molly has TJ, and Molly says, Alexis has her. Alexis says, and her sister, and Molly says she and Kristina promised to be there for each other. Alexis says she needs Molly to mean that because it’s just them now. They’re going to have to hang in there for each other. Not just for them, but for Sam and all the people she left behind. That’s what they’re going to do. She leans on Molly’s shoulder and says, it’s just the three of them. Molly says, the three of them.

Drew kisses Willow’s hand and they get busy. There’s a song part. (I’ve always suspected Willow was a little stupid.)

Holly goes to Robert’s office, and he asks, what’s wrong? She says she swore she’d never do this to him again, but he says, spit it out. She says she’s in trouble.

Sasha says she can’t believe Sam is gone, and Carly says, Jason told her. Sasha says, Dante must be devastated, and the kids, and Carly says, it’s heartbreaking. Sam was a great mom. The kids meant everything to her. Sasha says, they were lucky to have her. What do they do now? Carly says, be there for them, and Sasha says, of course (🍷) no one can replace their mom, especially one as loving and caring as Sam.

Suddenly, several masked men come in, along with Sidwell. One of the men grabs Sasha’s arm, and Sidwell says, if she’ll be kind enough to come with them… Carly says she has no idea who he is, but he has no idea what he’s messing with, and Sidwell says, don’t I, Miss Spencer? Call the authorities, and Sasha dies. Carly says she has better people to call, and he says, while she’s calling her friends in the underworld, tell Sasha’s mother that he wants his diamonds back. They leave, dragging Sasha with them.

Tomorrow, Michael asks if Brook has seen Willow; Willow says, this can never happen again; Anna says, Holly can’t be counted on to do the right thing; and Carly asks Jack what Sidwell is doing in Port Charles when the WSB is looking for him.

🍷 New drinking game. Whenever someone says, this can never happen again, take a shot. Take another when it does happen again.

🧴 A Little Bit Of Soap…

While everyone is doing a stellar job, I’m with Kristina. Why?

Very cool that she found a whole new niche for herself.

https://www.soapsindepth.com/posts/general-hospital/kimberly-mccullough-reveals-her-exciting-new-project

I’m definitely looking forward to this. It’s been a while since we’ve gotten a new soap and it’s about time we got a predominantly Black cast. I’ve been disappointed with GH on this front.

🗽 Biting the Big Apple…

Racquel explained why she wanted to keep her engagement quiet and why she’d kept her previous breakup quiet. Apparently, the art world is very shallow, and she was concerned that the business she and her ex-husband shared would be hit in the wallet. Even more sadly, when the breakup became public knowledge, Racquel’s fiancé Mel was painted as a homewrecker, even though it was like a year later. Evidently, gossip is also part of the art world. Are they bored or just boring? Raquel had difficulty with revealing the relationship to her mom, who wouldn’t have the perfect image to present of her daughter. She hadn’t visited Racquel since her divorce, and Racquel and Mel discussed the possibility of her not coming to the wedding. I dunno. I’d be pretty proud of Racquel. She has an amazing career, isn’t doing bad at all financially, has a beautiful wardrobe and home, and is happy in her personal life. What more can you ask for?

Sai gifted Ubah with a book called Pigeon Watching, which was pretty funny. In Ubah’s interview, she said, the women were all in the book and she probably was too.

Jessel and husband Pavit went out to eat, and while Pavit was busy snapping pix of his food, Jessel tried to discuss their embryos on ice and how they needed couples therapy. At Erin’s Cinco de Mayo event in celebration of her new mezcal (🤮), Brynn flirted with Erin’s dad. In Sai’s interview, she pointed out how Brynn got mad about the sugar daddy stories, yet perpetuated that view of herself. Once again, loving Racquel, but Brynn, not so much.

Speaking of Brynn. Yeah. It’s always the editing.

👀 Do Watch Don’t…

I checked out Don’t Move last weekend and finally, a movie without a disappointing ending. No spoilers because this is in the film description. A woman about to commit suicide meets a stranger who causes her to rethink that plan. Later, said stranger kidnaps her, injecting her with a paralyzing drug. Angst and tension ensue. Kelsey Asbille (Iris) and Finn Wittrock (Richard) are the main players who carry the movie, and they’re superb. And with a lot of physically demanding scenes, no doubt came home from filming with bruises.

🎱 Magic 8 Ball Says…

I hate to say it, but it was probably just dumb luck that they were right before and ditto if they’re right tonight. It’s not like there’s anyone voting in the poll outside of the viewers.

November 3, 2021 – Sonny Visits Cyrus In Flatland, Erika’s Story Comes To a Close, Why Can’t I Look Away & Boogie

Standard

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Anna looks in Valentin’s room window, and Porta tells her, Dr. Haddad said the surgery was very successful. She was able to remove all the bullet fragments. Anna says, good. So Valentin’s going to be all right? Portia says they have reason to be optimistic, and Anna says, he’s astonishingly resilient. Can she go in and see him? Portia says, sure. As Anna knows, she and Brook have been given familial privileges. Just encourage him to get some rest. Anna says she’ll try, but she’s not promising he will.

Anna goes in, and sits next to Valentin’s bed. She puts her hand over his, and he opens his eyes, saying, Anna. She asks if he missed her.

Chase walks past the reception desk, and Elizabeth says, looking good. How’s he feeling? He says, great. Too bad the doctors don’t agree.

Carly and Olivia walk into The Savoy, and Carly says, so this is their competition. Olivia says, hardly; they don’t serve food. They sit at a table, and Olivia says she’s so glad Carly agreed to come out tonight. She hears they have a spectacular bartender. Maybe they can make her an offer and steal her for the MetroCourt. Curtis says, not going to happen. He knows how to keep his employees happy. Olivia says he can’t blame a girl for trying, and Carly says, this place is great. She’s only heard good things. He thanks her, and says, stay tuned. He’s just getting started.

Marshall sits in Kelly’s, and looks at something on his phone about November 11. Maxie walks in, and joins Brook at a table. She asks where Yuri is, and Brook says, in the kitchen. The chef is from Belarus; go figure. She looks at her phone, and says, Gladys has been blowing up her phone all day. Please tell her that she’s come up with a plan to stop Gladys blackmailing her, so she doesn’t have to declare bankruptcy.

At the Savoy, Austin sits at the bar, when Gladys approaches, and asks for the house special cocktail. She tells Nika to only use the good stuff and keep her tab open. She puts Brook’s credit card on the bar, and says she doesn’t have to worry about the credit limit on this baby. She sees Austin, and says she knows him from GH. She was visiting a friend in ICU, Valentin Cassadine. He says she was, and she said she was family. She says, yeah, she shouldn’t have done that, but she really needed to talk to him. He laughs and says, of course (🍷) she did. It’s nice to see you again, Gladys Corbin. She says he remembered her name. It’s just Gladys, by the way. He says, any friend of Valentin’s…

Olivia tells Carly, it feels so good to be a customer instead of a host. They don’t have to take care of all the details. Carly asks what’s going on with her, and Oliva asks what she’s talking about. She’s just looking forward to relaxing with a lovely cocktail. Any chance of getting Sonny out for a drink? She’s barely spoken to him since he came back from the dead. Carly says, Sonny’s out of town. He’s catching up with an old acquaintance.

At Flatland Federal Prison, the guard tells Sonny that his phone has to be off for the duration of the visit, and Sonny shows him it’s off, saying, it’s going to be a short visit anyway. Sonny sits across from Cyrus, and they pick up the phones. Cyrus says, Sonny Corinthos. How does it feel to return from the dead? Sonny says, better than being locked up in here for life, and smiles.

Chase tells Elizabeth, he just had another check-up, and the doctor still won’t sign off on him going back to active duty. This extra caution has Finn written all over it. She says, he may be a little overprotective, but he’s just looking out for Chase. Finn wants to make sure Chase can go full-throttle without any relapses. Isn’t that what Chase wants too? Chase says he’ll try to be a more patient patient, and she laughs. He says, just don’t tell Finn he said that, and she says she wouldn’t dream of it. He says Finn is lucky to have her by his side.

On the phone, Brook says, thanks for letting her know. Keep her posted. She tells Maxie, Valentin’s awake, thank God. Anna said the surgery went well, and the doctors are optimistic. Maxie says she’s so relieved, and Brook says she is too. Let’s hope it continues that way. Maxie asks if Anna said anything about the search for Peter, and Brook says, only that the trail is cold. They haven’t seen any signs of Peter since Anna and Valentin saw him in Crete. Maxie says, great. That means Peter could be anywhere, including on his way to Port Charles.

Anna looks at her phone, and Valentin asks if he was sleeping. She says, just a little nap, and he says, it was rude of him; he’s sorry. She says he needs his rest to recover. She’s glad to say the surgery was very successful, and he says, of course (🍷) it was. She didn’t think he’d die on the operating table? That’s not his style. Anna says, she gave Brook an update; she sends her love. She’s going to bring Charlotte over tomorrow. He says, that’s very kind of her. Charlotte’s the only medicine he needs. She says, he does need actual medicine. The doctors are recommending a recovery protocol for him, and he says, no bouncy castle? She says, not yet, and he asks if Peter has resurfaced. Has Victor been of any use at all? She says, Victor wants to make a deal.

Carly and Olivia clink glasses, and Olivia says, Flatland Federal Prison, huh? Sounds like a real five-star destination. Carly says, Sonny thinks he might find out something useful from Cyrus, and Olivia says, she’s okay with Sonny taking a work trip so soon? Carly says, she wasn’t going to tell him that he couldn’t go, and Olivia says, that’s not what she asked. Carly says she gets that Sonny needed to go, and she’s trying to be okay with it. Olivia says, coming back must be a helluva adjustment, and Carly says, it is. They’re taking it one step at a time. Olivia says she really respects the way Carly is maintaining. The staff told her that Nina showed up at the MetroCourt the other day. How in the hell didn’t Carly slap her into next Tuesday? Carly says, because if she started, she wouldn’t stop. Jason had to physically drag her away from Nina when she found her at the Quartermaines. Olivia says, good thing he did too. Carly doesn’t want that woman to have any reason to bring her up on charges of assault. Carly tells her, that’s what Jason said, and she gets it, but it’s inside of her. You know the saying, seeing red? She gets like that every time she sees Nina. Every bone in her body wants to go after Nina. Olivia says she’d be completely justified in doing it. It’s just that there’s better ways. If Carly wants to change her mind, and evict Crimson from the MetroCourt offices, she’ll back Carly 100%. And Carly has a lawyer that’s a ninja. Diane could sue Nina, into bankruptcy, assuming she’s not already in prison. Carly says, Michael’s behind those charges, and Olivia says she had a feeling. Carly says, the night Nina was indicted, Michael looked at her, and asked why she hadn’t already gone after Nina. Olivia says, and why didn’t she? and Carly says, because of Sonny.

Gladys asks Austin how Valentin is doing, and he says there’s no way she could have known this when they met at the hospital, but he’s a physician there, so he can’t discuss patient information. Gladys says, well, he’s no fun. Her drink comes, and she says, but she is, takes it, and walks off. He flashes back to Brook being upset that Gladys is visiting Valentin, and ponders it.

Cyrus says he has more lives than a cat, and Sonny asks, what’s so important that Cyrus wanted to see him in person? Cyrus says, any change is refreshing from the monotony of prison, and Sonny says, get to the point or he’ll just leave. Cyrus says, after coming all this way? He doesn’t think so. Sonny tells him, think again, because he’ll just get in his jet and fly home, and consider it a day well spent, and you know why? Because he got to see Cyrus locked up with no chance of parole. Sonny leans forward, and says, Cyrus threatened his wife, his family, and his town. He got off easy. He’s just sorry nobody killed Cyrus.

Carly says Sonny doesn’t want her going after Nina, and Olivia says she would have thought Sonny would want Nina to pay. Carly says, Sonny thinks if she goes after Nina, it could blow back on them; make a bad situation worse. Right now, he just wants to focus on rebuilding their life together, and loving his children. Olivia asks how Carly feels, and Carly says she feels like they can rebuild their life, love their children, and they can flatten Nina. But Sonny has asked her to let it go, and she’s trying. She’s trying so hard. She loves Sonny so much, but she grieved him for nine months and has to put her energy there. They have to figure out who they are now. Olivia says she just can’t get her head around Sonny wanting to turn the other cheek, and Carly says, I know, right? She used to know Sonny like the back of her hand. Be able to tell you how he was going to react, and be right 99% of the time, but not now. Nixon Falls changed Sonny. Olivia asks if they’re okay, and Carly says they’re working at it. Olivia says, and Carly’s contribution is not annihilating Nina? Carly says, that’s part of her contribution, and Olivia says she respects Carly. She’s doing a helluva job. She had no idea how much this was costing her. Carly thanks her, and says, what about her? Olivia says, what about her what? and Carly says she can tell Olivia’s going through something too.. If Olivia wants to talk to her about what she’s going through, Carly is there to listen. Olivia says, it’s just hard, and Carly asks if it’s Leo. Olivia says, why does everyone think something’s wrong with Leo? Her son is absolutely perfect. Carly says, Olivia told her that Leo was going to the doctor the other day, so she just assumed, and Olivia says, sorry, her bad. She’s all over the place. Carly asks if she can help, but Olivia says, no. She thinks she and Ned are headed for divorce.

Austin tells Curtis, he can’t believe this place is new, and Curtis says, just a couple months old. Austin says, it’s got a really great vibe, and Curtis tells Austin, he just said what every new club owner wants to hear. Why doesn’t he stick around? Austin says he will, and Curtis says, if Austin likes live music, he should come back tomorrow, because he’s booked the hottest group out of Detroit right now. Austin says he might just do that; it sounds like quite the night. Curtis says, it will be, and with the talent he’s bringing in, and fine clientele like Austin, he should have no problem putting The Savoy on the map.

Valentin asks Anna where the WSB is keeping the man now claiming to be his father. In the Hague? She says, right now they’re keeping him in Port Charles. They want him to be close to her so she has access during her investigation. He asks if she’s spoken to Victor, but she says she’s been a bit busy, sitting vigil by a friend’s bedside. He says, her friend is a very lucky man. She wonders if she can ask him a question. How does he feel about Victor’s claim to be his father? He doesn’t know. he wouldn’t put it past Helena. It does sound like something she’d do, have an affair with her husband’s brother, but he’s going to need more than Victor’s word. She says, so he’s not dismissing it out of hand? and he says he doesn’t think it matters one way or the other. It’s just a little unsettling to think, if he’s telling the truth, that makes Charlotte and Bailey his granddaughters.

A waitress serves Marshall his meal, and Brook tells Maxie that Valentin can’t find out Bailey isn’t his daughter until Peter is caught. He’s more likely to understand if Peter is locked up or dead, which wouldn’t exactly be a tragedy. Maxie says, it would obviously be safest for Bailey, but right now, the danger is closer to home. How are they going to neutralize Gladys? Brook says, that woman’s a menace. It’s like Gladys actually enjoys causing trouble. Maxie says, since Gladys’s only priority is herself, they have to convince her that telling Valentin will cost her more than she’d gain. They need leverage. Brook says, the problem is, neither one of them can be the one to set the trap. If she smells either of them, she’ll be on guard. Maxie says, they need a third party, but Brook says, they can’t bring in another person. Maxie says they don’t have to tell him why they’re going after Gladys, and Brook says, him? Who’s him? Maxie says, what was his name? Pip?… Skip?… Trip?… Brook asks if they’re talking about a person or a puppy, and Maxie says she has to call Nina. Chase comes in, and Brook says it’s good to see him up and about. He says, it’s good to see the both of them. He’s glad he ran into Maxie. He’s been studying her daughter’s kidnapping case while he’s been on desk duty.

Cyrus tells Sonny, they’re done here. Don’t let him keep Sonny from his jet plane. Sonny says, be sure of that. This is the one chance Cyrus has of Sonny sitting across from him. If he leaves, he’s not coming back, no matter what Cyrus claims to know. Cyrus says, like he told Sonny; anything to break the monotony. Sonny says, whatever gets him through the night, and Cyrus says he thinks they should discuss terms first. Sonny asks what he wants, and Cyrus says he’s done well for himself here, but his reach has been somewhat limited. If he helps Sonny, perhaps Sonny will do him a favor somewhere down the line. Sonny says, perhaps, and Cyrus says, Sonny’s wife and Jason tried to fill Sonny’s shoes while he was away, but he thinks they overreached when they killed Novak and Buscema, and he’s not alone. Sonny says he doesn’t know what Cyrus is talking about. From what he heard, the cops don’t have a lead on who planted that bomb. Cyrus says, it’s a mystery to be sure, but he returned at a turbulent time with two heads of families gone. Sonny says he’s managing fine, and Cyrus says, for now. He hears someone is headed for Port Charles, determined to fill one of those slots, and get revenge.

At the docks, a man tells Joey, welcome back. How was Warsaw? Joey says, it was well until he got the news, and the man says, condolences on his uncle. Vincent Novak was a great man. Joey says, yes, and looks to the sky. He says, the Corinthos organization was responsible for his death. Now that he’s back, they’re most surely going to pay. Has he been following her like Joey asked? The man says, every step; he knows exactly where she is. Joey says, good. He can’t wait to see Carly Corinthos again.

Elizabeth finds Portia looking out the window in her office, and asks if something is wrong. Is it Valentin Cassadine? Portia says, no, just the opposite. She just told Anna that Valentin’s surgery was successful. Elizabeth says, that’s great. She’s sure Anna is happy to hear that. Is everything okay with Portia? Portia says she thinks she’s fighting off a stress headache, and Elizabeth asks if it has to do with Trina, but Portia says, no, thank God. It’s Curtis. She can’t shake the feeling that he might be in some trouble.

Chase says he has some more questions about the night Maxie’s daughter went missing, and Brook asks if he can be any more insensitive. Blindsiding Maxie, asking her questions about her missing child? He says he didn’t mean to blindside her; he’s just trying to plug up some holes in the investigation. Brook says, by charging in, and interrogating the victim. She tells Maxie that she’s so sorry. Does Maxie want to take a moment, and gather herself? She’ll totally understand. Maxie says, if they’ll excuse her for a minute, and leaves. Chase says he didn’t mean to upset her. Damn, that was all kinds of wrong. Is he really that rusty? She says she knows he’s not trying to hurt Maxie, but she’s struggling more than she lets on. She just finished telling Brook that she’s looking to move forward for Georgie and James’s sake, but she knows it’s all a front. Maxie’s not going to be okay until Peter is caught, locked up, and baby Louise is back in her arms. He says, that’s exactly why he’s reviewing this case. The events of the night Maxie gave birth, they don’t add up.

Anna says Valentin turned into such a wonderful father for Charlotte, and now for Bailey, and he says, parenthood has a way of shifting one’s priorities. He doesn’t have to tell her that. Look how motherhood has softened her. She’s no longer the steely, ambitious WSB agent she was years ago. She says, somehow, she doesn’t picture it softening Victor in any way. He says he doesn’t think so either, and takes it Victor hasn’t given her any more information about Peter. She says, Victor insists a deal before he tells them anything, and he says, maybe Victor will talk to him. She says, no, and he says, yes. Bring him here. He needs to see Victor.

Sonny tells Cyrus that he expected someone step in and try to take over the Novak family; also the Buscema family. Does Cyrus have any names? Cyrus says, Joey Novak’s time in Poland has come to an end, and Sonny says, Joey? He’s a hotheaded braggart. Cyrus says, what’s more dangerous than a braggart with a gun and something to prove?

Carly says she thought Olivia and Ned were doing better, and Olivia says she can’t count the times she supported Ned in his arguments with the family. The one thing he needs him to see her side on, he can’t, or he won’t. He just keeps pushing and pushing. Carly asks what he’s pushing about. She doesn’t understand. Gladys plops herself down at their table, and Carly says, this is not the time, but Olivia says, it’s all good. She’s going to get another round. She heads for the bar, and Gladys asks how Sonny is. She left him a ton of messages, but he hasn’t gotten back to her. Carly says, then she assumes he doesn’t want to talk to her, and Gladys says, don’t be like that. She just wants to welcome him home, and let him know how much everyone missed him. Joey comes to their table, and says, not everyone. Hiya, Carly. Long time no see.

Brook tells Chase, of course (🍷) things don’t make sense. That night was complete chaos. He says, that’s why he needs to question Maxie again. Witnesses can remember things, and they don’t even realize it. She says, or his question could further traumatize Maxie. It could make Maxie feel even guiltier for not stopping that crazy fake nurse. He promises he’ll be very sensitive, but questions need to be asked to make progress in this investigation. And he’s not going to stop until baby Louise is found.

Portia says, it’s a little too coincidental that TJ’s patient disappeared, and Elizabeth says, he was asking questions about Curtis, right? Portia says he was, and the general description matched the man she spoke to. Then again, that description could match a hundred men. They can’t be sure it’s the same guy. Elizabeth says she has a sketchpad in her locker. If Portia can describe him, she can draw him. Portia says, like a police sketch? and Elizabeth says, unofficially, she’s done it before, and it’s been pretty accurate. Portia can show TJ and see if he recognizes him. Portia thanks her, and says she just needs to know one way or the other. I notice the background music is also used in Planet Terror. It’s not the first time.

Olivia sees Austin at the bar, and says, spectacular. Just what the night needed. He says, enjoying herself? and she says she was until she bumped into him. He says he’ll leave her to it. Have a great night. He leaves, but she follows him, and says, she just has to ask. What exactly did he say to her husband about her son? He says, excuse me? and she says, Ned’s got his head all turned around, looking for problems where they don’t exist, and it all started with him. He says, Ned is listed as next-of-kin, and he has access to Leo’s medical records. It was not a HIPPA violation to talk to him. She tells him, she didn’t say it was against the law, but wouldn’t he say he was sticking his nose where it didn’t belong? He says, Ned came to him. Let him ask her something. What motive could he possibly have to lie about Leo? What could he possibly gain? She says, let her think. A check with a bunch of zeros on it, or a bunch of ELQ stock? He says he’s already signed over his claim, and she says, Ned came to him after he’d already signed those papers?

Carly says, it’s Mrs. Corinthos, and Joey says, he thought it was Mrs. Morgan. It’s hard to keep track. She says she’s not surprised that he’s stupid enough to come back to Port Charles, but even he should know not to approach her directly. He says he’s giving her a chance to pay her respects to his uncle who was murdered, and she says she’s well aware Vincent Novak is dead. She’s also aware he wanted her and Jason dead. It’s kind of ironic, isn’t it? Gladys says she thought she recognized Joey. She was with his uncle that day as his date. It’s only by the grace of God she wasn’t in the limo with him and that other guy. Carly says, yeah, tragic accident. Joey says, they both know it wasn’t an accident, and it won’t go unanswered. He considers anyone in the Corinthos family fair game. Carly laughs, and says he really wants to come after them? He says, what’s funny about that? and moves toward her. She stands up, and Curtis grabs Joey from behind. Curtis says he had Joey thrown out of there one time, but he’ll be glad to do the honors this time. Joey says Curtis doesn’t know who he’s messing with. He’s head of the Novak family. He won’t be treated like this. Curtis says, tell his story walking. He doesn’t give a damn who Joey’s the head of. Don’t come back. Joey yells that Carly will regret this.

Sonny says, Joey is a punk. He gets no respect. He can’t run the Novak organization; they’ve had one challenge after another. What about Paulie, the oldest nephew? Cyrus says, dead. An untimely car accident; break failure. (I’m laughing because they always sound like they’re from the 1970s Godfather.) Sonny asks if Cyrus is telling him the family is actually backing Joey, and Cyrus says, hasn’t he heard that saying, only a fool would underestimate someone with nothing to lose? Sonny says, message received. He’ll let Cyrus know if he’s right about the Novak family. He hangs up the phone, and starts to leave, but Cyrus bangs on the window, and motions him back. Sonny picks up the phone, and says, what? Cyrus says, just one more thing. Has Sonny seen Laura? How is his sister?

Olivia comes back to the table, and says she heard the commotion. Is everything okay? Gladys says, that guy Joey threatened them, her included. Carly says she thinks Gladys is going to be fine, and Olivia says, what about Carly? Was the threat legit? Carly says, it was just Joey Novak’s pathetic posturing. They’ll be fine. Curtis asks if everything is okay. He’s sorry that guy harassed them. He had Nika set them up with a round of drinks. Gladys says, oh good. She’ll be at the bar. Her nerves are shot. Carly says she’s so sorry. She should have had her guys inside the club; she wanted to be inconspicuous. Curtis says, no worries. It’s his club, his responsibility. If she thinks that guy is going to be a problem later, he can set her up with an escort. Carly says, no. Her guys can handle him, and he’s really not very bright; he’s just a hothead. Curtis says he does know who Joey is, and he knows what Joey is. It’s not his first time dealing with him. Did he hear him say that he was positioning himself as head of an organization? She says, he did, and Curtis says, his advice? Never turn your back on a hothead with something to prove.

Anna says, in what universe does Valentin think she’d bring Victor there to see him? Don’t answer that question. It’s rhetorical; it’s not going to happen. He asks why they have to fight about everything, and she says, because he’s unreasonable. He says, Peter has escaped twice now. They have to stop him before he causes any more damage. If that means using Victor for everything he knows, then so be it.

Carly says, so much for their night on the town, and Olivia says, sorry she’s bad company. Carly says, that’s not what she meant. She’s the one who’s a target for Joey Novak. Olivia says, which was not her fault, and Carly says, the point of going out was to make themselves feel better. That’s not happening. Olivia thinks she’ll feel better when she talks to a divorce lawyer.

Portia comes into the club, and Curtis says she looks beautiful. He wasn’t expecting to see her tonight. She says she couldn’t stay away, and asks if anything unusual happened. He says he had to take the trash out, but it’s all good now. How’d she find out? She says she was referring to the man who was asking questions around town about him. She says they can thank Elizabeth that they have proof. TJ’s mystery patient and the man she ran into outside Kelly’s are the same man. He hasn’t seen him today at all? Curtis says, he doesn’t know what the man looks like; he’s never seen him. Portia takes the sketch out of her bag.

Marshall gets up, and leaves Kelly’s.

Maxie comes back, and Chase says he’s so sorry if he upset her. She says, it’s okay. It hits her hard sometimes. He says he can’t imagine, but he does need to ask her questions at some point. He wants to walk her through the night again. He’s hoping she remembers something she didn’t before. She says she knows the drill. Her stepdad is acting Police Commissioner, remember? She’ll do whatever it takes to get her daughter back safe in her arms.

Cyrus says he’s tried contacting Laura, but got no response. He knows she’s upset with him, but it’s unlike her to make no reply at all. Tell him she’s fine. Sonny says he’s not going to talk about Laura to Cyrus, and Cyrus laughs, saying, here he thought Sonny’s time away might have changed him. Where was he all those months? Did he really not remember his life, or did he just run away for a while? Sonny says he doesn’t run, and Cyrus says, that’s right. It would be difficult to spend your whole life looking over your shoulder.

Chase says, all he wants is to find Maxie’s baby; they’re covering all their bases. He’ll be in touch. He’s sorry if he interrupted their evening. He leaves, and Maxie says, now Chase wants to ask her questions? Brook says, definitely not good, and Maxie says she hopes Anna can find Peter soon, so the lying can stop, and she can have her baby back in her arms. Brook says, one crisis at a time. Did she reach Nina? Maxie says she did; the guy they’re looking for is Kip. Nina had his contact info, so she called him; he’s totally in. Their plan to take down Gladys is a go. Brook puts her hand on the table, and Maxie puts hers on top of it. They both look like they’re trying to laugh

Anna tells Valentin, she wants to let Victor stew by not appearing too eager. Maybe that way he’ll cooperate. He asks how that’s working for her, and she says she doesn’t think Victor realizes that she can only make a suggestion for immunity. The final decision is above her paygrade. He tells her not to sell herself short. She still has a lot of influence, but let him handle this one. Bring him Victor. She says if she brings Victor there, he’ll use his claim as Valentin’s father to manipulate him, and he says he knows that. Doesn’t she think he knows that? Victor will be manipulating him, but he’ll be manipulating Victor right back.

Austin goes back to the bar, where Gladys is ordering two shots of bourbon; the good stuff. He asks if she’s okay. Who was that guy? She says, Joey Novak. His uncle escorted her to Carly and Jason’s wedding. Worst first date ever. She doesn’t want to talk about it. Nika tells Gladys that Curtis comped her previous drink, and Gladys says, that’s real nice of him. She downs the shot, and tells Nika to give herself a good tip. Austin notices Gladys’s credit card says Brook on it, and she says Brook wanted her to have a night out for all her hard work. Austin says, she seems nice. Maybe Gladys wants to sip the next one. Gladys says, if she can handle Brook, she can handle anything. She could tell him some stories. He says, no kidding. Then the next round is on him. She says, no, and holds up Brook’s card.

Portia says, she described the man, and Elizabeth drew this picture, showing Curtis the sketch. Curtis takes it, and she says, when she showed it to TJ, he confirmed that was his patient. Nika looks over Curtis’s shoulder, and says, that’s the music fan who was in here the other night. The one she thought she’d introduce Curtis too, but then he left. He asks if she’s sure, and she says, that’s him. Portia says, Curtis doesn’t recognize him at all? and Curtis says he’s never seen him before, but there’s something familiar about him.

At the docks, Joey tells his buddy, the Corinthos organization is going down. He yells that he’s going to run this town. The Savoy will make a good cover business, doesn’t dude think? Dude says, Joey wants to take over the place they just got thrown out of? and Joey says, he’ll enjoy giving Curtis an attitude adjustment. He’ll sell that club to him or else. He tells dude to schedule a meeting with the family, and dude says he’s got it. Dude runs off, and Joey turns to leave. He sees Marshall standing in the entrance.

Sonny says he’s had enough of Cyrus, so he’s done. If Cyrus gets bored, Sonny wants Cyrus to think of him; celebrating holidays, taking vacations, going to great restaurants and eating good food, being with his family. Something Cyrus will never do for the rest of his life. Cyrus says he’ll be in touch about that favor, and Sonny says, don’t hold his breath. Sonny leaves, and takes out his phone in the hallway, looking at his messages. He calls Carly, and asks, what’s up? She asks if he’s done with his visit, and he says he is. He’s heading to the plane. She says, guess who’s back? and he says, Joey Novak. She says, yep, and he asks if Joey has given her any problems. She says he tried to hassle her at The Savoy a little while ago and got tossed out. How did he know Joey was back? He says he’ll explain when he gets home. Call Tony to make sure she gets home without any problems. She says, already done. Fly safe. She loves him. He says he loves her too. He’s back, and he’s going to take care of everything.

Tomorrow, Alexis tells Spencer that going to his father is a terrible idea, Valentin wonders what the catch is, Ned asks if Ava has something in mind, and Esme says Harmony knows better than anyone.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills – The Reunion – Part Four

Andy asked for a show of hands on who thought Erika had no idea what Tom was up to, and everyone agreed she hadn’t. Crystal wondered where Erika’s anger at Tom was, causing Erika to get angry at Crystal, and ask if she was angry enough now. Andy said when Erika was being asked what were reasonable questions, she was lashing out at everyone. Erika’s answer was, why wouldn’t she? How would he feel if he was accused of the same things she was? He said he’d be furious, but if a friend was asking, he’d try to make them understand without isolating them. Erika said she wasn’t showing the emotion people wanted her to, but Andy said it was about understanding, and that Erika shouldn’t think they were against her. Erika said, she’d been controlled about what she said at Kyle’s dinner, but she’d been hurt by Sutton saying she wasn’t buying what Erika said, and that Erika had made a deal with the devil. We flashed back to all that, and Sutton saying when you make a deal with the devil, the devil always comes knocking. Erika said they could read about it, or talk to her about it instead. Dorit told Erika, if she’d said it like that the first time, she wouldn’t get the same reaction. Erika asked if Dorit would like being called a liar, and being sued every day. People said incredible things about her, but she was bothered when it came from the people closest to her. Several of the women pointed out that Erika’s main issue had been with Sutton, who she wasn’t close to. Erika said she as thinking about the dinner where Dorit, PK, Kyle, and Mauricio laughed at her life. Kyle said she couldn’t control what other people did, although Kyle didn’t say, hey, don’t talk like that, either. Erika said she couldn’t control what Tom did or didn’t do, and Andy asked who believed the article that said Erika’s divorce had been a sham. No one did.

Dorit said the LA Times article was the first time they’d heard about any of it, and Erika hadn’t been there. Emotions were high because they didn’t have answers. Erika said they should have had her there, and Andy said that was a good point, but she’d just left. Garcelle said, Erika had left because of something she’d asked. Should they have brought her back to ask more questions? A viewer asked when Erika realized there was money trouble, and she said when she was on Broadway. Andy said he’d heard that Tom was having financial trouble years ago, and we saw a headline about Bethenny revealing this. Andy said Twitter had gone nuts about her not using waterproof mascara, and Camille had weighed in. Jamie from Albany said she wasn’t buying the pity party; it was acting. Erika said she had allergies with mascara, and she didn’t need sympathy, pity, or someone who wasn’t on the show anymore giving their two cents. Andy asked if she’d spoken to Tom since he’d gone to assisted living, and she said, it was sad. She got teary, and told Andy, after the pictures came out where Tom had a black eye, she wanted to make sure he was in the right place. We flashed back to Garcelle bringing up Tom calling Erika to the rest of the group, and Andy asked why she’d been upset when she’d said something that was on camera? Erika said she hadn’t been wearing a mic, didn’t answer those calls, and didn’t want to give the impression she was talking to him. People would say they were in cahoots. Andy asked if he was still calling, and she said he’d called five times today. Andy asked if she’d expressed her anger to Tom, and she said she asked how he could put her in this position. Andy wondered if she’d asked if he did it, and she stopped and started like a broken robot on Westworld for a moment. She finally said, she asked why he would leave her with millions of dollars of lawsuits pointed at her. She did that crying like when the tears just fall out of your eyes individually.

Andy asked again about Tom stealing, and she said he didn’t acknowledge anything. It didn’t matter what he said anyway, since he was declared incompetent. Dorinda said, so he wasn’t capable of understanding, and Erika said, not when she presses. She probably shouldn’t even be telling them this. Andy said the big bombshell was the $20 million that was transferred to her LLC. Erika insisted that never happened, and said her lawyer wrote to Page Six and everyone else, but there was no response. She’d spent $14 million over twelve years, which came out to two million a year; about the same as everyone else in the group spent. At this point, Kathy refreshed her lipstick, and I’ll bet she’d been eating off a TV tray in her head this whole time. Erika said she was being sued by everyone who thought she had a magical pot of gold. She asked if everyone at the firm should take a hit. There was more discussion about the timeline of Tom’s cognizance and him ripping people off, and she said, by all accounts, he’d been an upstanding man in the community. If she’d known anything, she woudn’t have gone on a reality show. There wasn’t a master plan, just a tragic sequence of events. Andy brought up Sutton saying one of the partners had left because their wife thought something was off. Erika wanted to know where that came from, and Sutton said she didn’t know. Erika said she’d like a name, that it would help her, and Sutton said she’d find out. Andy asked, aside from the meeting, what had surprised Erika most, and she said why they believed what they heard when the source was right there. She’d worked hard to be open and honest, and felt like she got sh*t on. Clearly, she was not angry or sad enough. She couldn’t win. I actually don’t think that she knew anything illegal was going on. Did she not want to know is another question, but it’s irrelevant. The problem I have, and I think a lot of viewers have, is Erika’s visceral reaction to being questioned at all.

Crystal thought her question had been reasonable, and LisaR said she knew better than anyone that talking behind someone’s back never worked. Andy brought up LisaR’s accusation that Yolanda had Munchausen’s (something we will never, ever be allowed to forget), and questioned that Kim was sober, saying she was near death. Garcelle wondered why LisaR pushed Sutton to question Erika, and Kyle said that was on Sutton. Andy said Erika was pretty scary, saying she was coming after Sutton. Erika said – get this one – that when she meant is that everyone had their own personal stuff they could be dealing with, and when it was Sutton’s turn, she wouldn’t give Sutton the grace she’d asked for. Sutton said she’d been through it this year too. Andy said that wasn’t how it came off, and we flashed back to Erika saying she’d be coming for Sutton. Erika said, it was just slang, and said if this exchange had happened on one of the other shows, it would be called a conversation. It was only in Beverly Hills where they were so precious. Andy showed a tweet with a screenshot of Erika’s angry face, and the poster saying Erika wasn’t once called a bully. Underneath, Garcelle had replied, thank you. Garcelle said she regretted not intervening and deescalate the situation. Sutton said she’d hired security for a while, which Erika found funny, but Sutton said Erika had told her that she was coming after her and her family. Erika said Sutton had come after her and her family. It wasn’t okay to say she was a liar, and had made a deal with the devil. Sutton said she had her opinion, and Erika said she had hers. Sutton was like, cool, but bring it to the table like an adult. Erika said she was an adult, and Sutton said it didn’t seem like it. In response, adult Erika said it seemed like Sutton was being a bitchy effing c-word. Alrighty then.

Sutton said she didn’t know Erika well, and Erika said Sutton didn’t know her well enough to call her a liar. She shouldn’t read an article and jump to conclusions. Sutton said Erika pretended to be her friend in Del Mar, and we flashed back to Erika being all apologetic. Sutton said she’d thought Erika was sincere, but she was lying. Erika said she wasn’t lying, she was just playing Sutton’s ass. Which is lying, but okay. Everybody thought liar was a strong word, which made me think maybe Erika was right about the precious thing. Erika said it was a vulnerable moment where the consequences were big. They talked about Tom’s car accident, and Erika said she’d left things out to protect Tom. When he was declared incompetent, everyone got the full story. Andy said viewers questioned that LisaR had questioned Yolanda, Kim, and Denise, yet it was crickets when it came to Erika. We flashed back to all those things, and LisaR said she regretted everything, and wished she could take it back. It haunted her and she had to live with herself and the consequences of her actions. Andy said the group had a lot of conversations about LVP, and Erika said, LVP ran, she didn’t. That’s because LVP can do whatever she damn well pleases. She is the Queen.

Andy reminded Erika that Sutton had flown everyone out by private jet to see Chicago when Erika was in it. He didn’t understand why she’d flipped on Sutton. Erika started off by saying Sutton was so worried about her reputation, then they got to the part I hate the most – everyone talking at once. I have no idea what any of them said, but it ended with Erika yelling if anyone was going to back her TF up, and everyone agreeing with her because they were terrified. She asked why Andy was smiling at her, and he said because she was a piece of work, and he’d never met anyone like her. They talked about the car accident again, and Erika told this long, drawn out story, and got pissed when Dorit interrupted to ask a question. It was weird though, when Andy asked how it was snowing where her son had been when Tom had the second accident, and she said she wasn’t getting into it. Now I’m curious. We found out Tom’s children don’t speak to her, and this had driven a massive wedge between them. I don’t imagine they’ve ever been in love with the age difference. She told Andy that she could serve the  victims best by cooperating with the investigation, and Dorit told her that she should have said that in the first place. Erika claimed her lawyer already had. Andy said she’d answered every question, and thanked her. Erika thanked everyone for hearing her, and said it was a situation that wasn’t going to be resolved easily. Then Kathy suddenly apologized to Garcelle for missing a dinner, saying she was still in covid quarantine. Because she was off visiting in the man in the moon while Erika talked.

Andy had some final thoughts, and asked if Sutton could redo anything, what would it be? Sutton said her conversation with Crystal; she would have just listened. He asked what Dorit wanted to be known for, and she said, being a good mom. He asked what surprised Kathy the most, it being her first season. She said, how real it all was, and the sisterhood. She adored all the girls, and she’d had fun. Andy said Crystal had a rough entry, but loosened up, and shared herself. He asked what it meant to have a new group of friends, and Crystal said, it was a new transition, but she kept an open mind and heart, and it was nice that it ended the way it did. We saw a clip of her toasting at the Chinese New Year party, saying, it had been the most remarkable year of her life, and they were all part of it. Andy asked if Garcelle felt more like an insider now, and she said she did. He asked if she got the resolution she was looking for at the Reunion, but she says she didn’t come in with anything particular in mind. She’d decided to just see where things were going to go. He asked what LisaR’s biggest takeaway was, and she said she didn’t know how it would go. The year before, she’d gotten no resolution, so she felt good about what happened, and insisted she was a good friend. They all agreed, and I told her, if you say so. Andy said Erika’s life had been under a microscope, and asked what she hoped to take away. She said nothing other than honoring her commitment. She came with an open heart, and appreciated telling her story. Andy asked if Kyle felt responsible for bringing everyone together, as far as both her family and the group went, and she said she did. She’d had a great time with her sister, and she was happy about that.

Andy said it had been a great season all the way around, which I translated to mean, thank God Erika had serious legal problems this season and kept a storyline going. Kathy’s butlers Patrick and Carlos passed out martinis, and Andy said he was glad Patrick hadn’t been traumatized by the group. Next to Michael on Southern Charm, Patrick is my favorite butler. Kathy said, bottoms up, and Sutton and Crystal actually drained their glasses. Crystal told Sutton that they were alike. Aww! I guess.

🏚 On the horrifying car accident I can’t look away from – aka Winter House – last week, Austen had said he loved Lindsay… like a sister, shattering her whole fantasy life. Jason announced that he was having a keg delivered, and they were having a beer bash in which they also had to choose a drinking partner. Ciara told Austen that if he and Lindsay needed to figure things out, she’d step aside, but instead, they made out. Andrea said his dream was to marry an American girl, and move back to Italy. I couldn’t figure this out, since, why not just stay in Italy? Lindsay told Luke that she and Austen could communicate through their eyeballs, and a huge, messy frat party commenced. A frat party with almost 40 year olds. Julia said just because she had a boyfriend, didn’t mean she couldn’t have fun. I kept looking for the fun, but didn’t find any. Amada whined that Kyle worked all day, then just wanted to be part of the boys group. Paige danced on a table with Andrea. After telling Julia that she liked Luke, Gabby found Julia grinding on him, and in her interview, she said, Julia didn’t want Luke; she just wanted the attention. A producer asked if Julia had ruined past relationships for Gabby, and she said, yeah. You’d think the follow-up questions would be, why are you friends, and why are you feeding her information? But no.

Amanda called her mom to vent, going into the bathroom to talk. Kyle got sh*tfaced, and hunted for Amanda to the point where he was literally crying. This prompted Lindsay to hunt Amanda down and legit carry her back to Kyle. He cried that she only used that bathroom when she pooped, so no one was going to look for her there. Yes, this is the highbrow show I’m watching. Gabby told Paige that she and her ex broke up because of Julia, and told her about seeing Julia hitting on him when Julia knew she liked him. Unlike the fantasy relationship in Paige’s head, Andrea said they were taking it easy, since he’d just come from a relationship that hadn’t ended well. Gabby confronted Julia, who said she just didn’t see it Gabby’s way. In Gabby’s interview, she said Julia’s ego didn’t allow her to be wrong. Lindsay complained that she thought it was going to be a fun, flirty vacation with her best friend, but she ended up alone, which is a good example of why you should set those expectations up ahead of time with the other person. Ciara corralled Paige to help her get dressed for a date with Austen, and in Amanda’s interview, she said she remembered those days of dressing up. Now she just rolled out of bed. Austen and Ciara doubled with Amanda and Kyle. Austen didn’t know if he was ready to move on, but decided to get involved anyway. Back at the Bad Choices House, Andrea did squats with  Paige sitting on his shoulders. In her interview, she said while her friends were on a date, she got asked to be bench pressed.

Next time, Paige gets her date, and a carriage ride.

🥤 Hands down, the best thing about this show are the tiny Solo cups. I’m obsessed.

November 11, 2020 – Cyrus Says Sonny Broke the Truce, Braunwyn Apologizes To Gina, Salt Lake Premiere & Boogie

Standard

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Laura walks into the abandoned house, and Curtis asks what she’s doing there. She says, probably the same thing they are. Chasing down a lead on Cyrus. She says, Jordan is on a medical leave of absence, and she thought Jordan was receiving treatment. What is she doing sneaking around an empty house on the other side of the country?

Sonny tells Jason, whoever wanted Julian to shut up is successful. For now. He wants to know what Julian knows about his family, and why he was on the docks. Jason says, Cyrus seems to be honoring the truce, and hasn’t brought any product through Port Charles. Sonny says, until Julian squeals that Taggert is alive, but Jason says, he won’t. Sonny hopes Julian is more scared of him than he is of Cyrus. Jason says, Franco asked to meet with him, and Sonny asks what that psycho wanted. Jason says Franco asked him to kill him.

Scotty goes to Franco’s house, and asks, what’s going on in that head of his?

Gregory walks into Finn’s room, and says, hello Harry. Hamilton. (The only reason I even included that was because we never hear Chase and Finn’s first names. I forget they even have first names ) He says he can’t tell them how wonderful it is to see both of his boys together. Finn says he didn’t have to come all this way, and Gregory says, Jackie told him that Finn was shot in the chest. Forgive him if he was concerned. Finn says he’s going to make a full recovery, and Gregory says, that’s a great relief. He knows he could have called, but he wanted to see Finn with his own eyes. Finn says, mission accomplished. He can leave now. Gregory says, if that’s what Finn really wants.

Dante looks at a photo of Peter and family, and says, complete the mission. He sits in front of Peter’s computer, and brings up a page that says off-shore deposits.

Lulu tells Maxie, the only thing lingering between her and Dante is Rocco. Maxie asks if Lulu is sure she doesn’t want more, and Lulu says she’s with Dustin now and she’s happy. Maxie says, right, and Lulu says Maxie is doing that thing she does where she barely says anything, and it sounds more like Lulu is trying to convince herself. Maxie says, of what? That Dante doesn’t love her anymore, or that she doesn’t still love Dante?

Peter tells Anna, the longer Alex had Maxie, the more dark impulses pounded in his head. If Anna hadn’t been there to rescue Maxie, he doesn’t know what he would have been capable of. Anna says it’s natural to be protective about the people they love, but Peter says he kept thinking about what Alex told him. The rules don’t apply to them – him and Alex. They’re extraordinary people, and should act as they see fit. They’re above consequences and accountability. Anna says that sounds like her sister, and Peter says he was ashamed to tell her how much sense it made to him at the time. Valentin watches them.

Valentin joins Anna and Peter, and says, Finn is going to be okay. That’s good news. Anna asks how Valentin is, and he says he’s had no effects from the drug. Anna says, on top of everything else, Alex drugged them, and Valentin says Alex is a multitasker. He asks how Anna’s head is, and she says, okay. It’s not the first time she’s been pistol-whipped. Peter says they talk like this happens every day. His phone rings, and he says, it’s the paper, stepping away to take the call. Valentin thanks Ann for saving his life, and she says, it seemed like the decent thing to do. He says, it’s just them now. Is she all right? She says she killed her sister, and Valentin says, she knows she had to. She says, knowing is one thing, living with it is something else. Peter returns, and says he’s needed back at work. He already let Maxie know. He thanks Anna for saving Maxie and the baby, and she says it’s the least she could do for her goddaughter and grandchild. Peter leaves, and Valentin says, her grandchild. He assumes she’s not telling Peter that Alex is his mother.

Lulu tells Maxie, Dante stepped in twice now. Chivalry is good – sometimes.

Dante puts in a flashdrive in Peter’s computer. He hears something, but continues copying the files.

Gregory says, very well, he’ll be going, but Finn tells him to stay. Gregory supposes that’s what passes for enthusiasm. If it’s not too banal of a question, how is Finn feeling? Finn says, he could be worse, and Gregory asks if he needs anything, but Finn says he doesn’t. Finn hopes the traveling wasn’t too difficult, and Gregory says, he’s not an invalid. Finn says that’s not what he meant, and Gregory says, the Lyme disease is more manageable now, thanks to Finn. Finn says he’s glad Gregory is feeling better, and Gregory says he should probably leave. His presence can’t be doing much for Finn’s stress level. He knows it’s not doing much for his. Before he goes, he wants to say how grateful he is for this moment. Seeing Finn alive, and knowing that, for now at least, he’s going be fine. When Jackie told him that Finn was shot… Finn says Gregory didn’t have to worry, but Gregory says, of course (🍷) he did. He’s Finn’s father. Finn may not like that, but nothing changes the fact that Finn is his son. Ergo, Gregory will always worry about him.

Scotty says, Franco was in the hospital and didn’t call. Franco asks if he was supposed to call and say nothing is wrong; stay put? Scotty says, it would have been something, and Franco says he’s sorry Scotty worried. Scotty says, he’s Franco’s father. Of course (🍷) he’s worried. Franco says, there would have been nothing Scotty could have done if he wasn’t fine, and Scotty asks if Franco would have told him. Franco says, absolutely. In fact, there is something Scotty might be able to help him with.

Jordan turns away, but Laura says Jordan needs to give her an explanation as to why she’s there. Curtis asks if anyone knows Laura is there. If she was followed, that could be bad. Laura says she knows how to lose a tail, and Curtis asks if the fundraising trip to DC was real. Laura says, it was, until she realized it was the perfect cover for her to dig deep into Cyrus’s life. Curtis says he’s glad she’s not a P.I., since she would be stiff competition. He asks about her leads, and she says, she’s been scrutinizing Cyrus’s holdings in her spare time, like they’ve been. A private residence in a quiet suburb stood out. Curtis says, to them too. He found the address in the spring, and checked it out, but it was heavily guarded. Laura says, not now. Whoever was living there is gone, giving her ample time to come up with an explanation for Cyrus. She asks again about Jordan’s medical absence, and Jordan says, it was a cover. The only threat to her life right now is Cyrus.

Sonny says, Franco put a hit out on himself? He tells Jason to make sure to get the cash up front. Jason says Franco told him that his brain tumor is back, and Sonny says, the tumor Franco claimed turned him psycho. Jason says, he says it’s in the same place, and doesn’t want to hurt anyone, especially Elizabeth and the boys. He asked Jason to take him out if he starts acting like his old self. Sonny asks if Jason thinks Franco is playing games, and Jason says he’s having Spinelli look into Franco’s medical records to see if the tumor is back. Then they’ll figure out what to do next. The guard tells Sonny that he has a visitor, and Taggert walks in. He wants to know what Sonny is doing with Julian.

Franco gives Scotty some papers, and Scotty says, it’s a life insurance policy. He knows Franco is in financial trouble, but now he’s peddling death? Franco says he’s not trying to sell Scotty a policy. He took it out after he and Elizabeth got married, and he wants Scotty to look over the terms. Scotty says. it’s clear and straightforward. Elizabeth and he boys will be taken care of. Franco says he knows that insurance companies resist a big payout, and wonders if there’s anything in the fine print that says if he dies a certain way, it will somehow nullify the policy. Scotty calls Franco a big dummy, and asks if he thinks it will fix his financial problems if he commits suicide.

Jordan tells Laura that Cyrus was the one who kidnapped TJ, and almost beat TJ to death. Laura asks why Jordan didn’t come to her, but Jordan says she didn’t want to get Laura involved. Sometimes deniability is the best weapon. Laura says Jordan doesn’t need to protect her, but Jordan says, it’s literally part of her job. Is Laura firing her? Laura says, not yet, but the day is young. Curtis says they were also protecting Port Charles. The city needs Laura as mayor, since she has the guts to stand up to Cyrus. Laura says she’s in it now, so she needs to understand how far they’ve gone. She needs them to tell her everything she needs to know.

Taggert says the Jerome family was before his time, but Julian is bad news. Jason says they can protect Taggert as long as he’s hiding, and Sonny says, that’s why he needs to hide. There’s a knock at the door, and the guard says Sonny has another visitor. Sonny asks who it is, and the guard says, Cyrus. Sonny tells Taggert to stay there, and goes out with Jason. He asks what Cyrus is doing there, and Cyrus says giving Sonny a chance to explain himself before he declares war.

Jordan tells Laura, she was compromised months before Cyrus got out of prison. She was forced to come forward with the evidence that helped him vacate. Laura asks if the evidence was fabricated in order for Cyrus to get out, or fabricated to put him in, and Jordan says Taggert, Mark, and Bob weren’t the only ones involved in fabricating evidence to put Cyrus away. She was in on it too. Laura says, so Jordan has been working for Cyrus all this time, and Jordan says, yeah. Curtis says, but they’ve also been working to put Cyrus away. The only way to keep Cyrus out of Port Charles for good is to put him behind bars, or in the ground. Laura asks what else they haven’t told her.

Chase wonders if he just saw a smile, and Finn insists he wasn’t smiling. He was remembering something – ergo. He laughs, and tells Gregory, it’s such a you thing to say. Elizabeth apologizes for interrupting, but she has to check Finn’s vitals. Chase suggests they step for a second, and let her do that. Finn nods, and Chase says, they’ll be back. They leave, and Elizabeth says, family, huh? Finn asks if she still has that bullet.

In the hallway, Gregory says he’s proud of Chase, staying by his brother. Chase says Finn would do the same for him, and asks if Gregory is ever going to tell Finn that he and Jackie are getting a divorce. Gregory says, no; it’s just a separation. No one is talking divorce. Chase isn’t sure Gregory is on the same page with Jackie, but Gregory says, he and Chase’s mother are going through a rough patch. They’re get through it as soon as Jackie is back from her latest breaking story.

Anna tells Valentin, Alex has already done enough damage. She’s going to protect Peter the way she should have. He says she didn’t even know she was Peter’s mother until she realized she had Alex’s memories. She says if he knows why Alex picked that one, and he says, to torment her, but Anna says, so she could save her son. He asks if this is a realization because she’s had a sudden wave of sentimentality, but she says Alex told her herself. Alex believed if Anna thought she had Peter and abandoned him, she’d seek him out, but she didn’t do that. In some ways she’s no better than Alex. He says they both know that’s not the case, and Anna says, what’s done is done. She can’t undo the past; no one can. But she can see to it that Peter has a better future, with Maxie at his side, raising their children and living his life. He’s a good man, and as far as the world is concerned, she’s Peter’s mother. Just the two of them and Finn will know the truth. Valentin tells her, absolutely do not tell Finn.

Franco tells Scotty that he wouldn’t do that; certainly not to Elizabeth. Everyone knows insurance companies don’t pay out for a suicide. Scotty says, that’s logical, and Franco says, hypothetically, if he died and it wasn’t an accident… Scotty says, natural causes? but Franco says, a violent non-accident. Scotty asks if someone is threatening Franco, and Franco asks why Scotty is making a big deal out of it. Scotty says Franco talking about a violent death is going to raise flags, but Franco says he was just casually going over some of his papers. He didn’t call Scotty about it, but thought since he was there, he could take a look. It’s important. Is Scotty going to help him or not?

Jordan tells Laura, she hates that Cyrus got out of prison, but he would have killed TJ. She knew he wasn’t bluffing. Laura doesn’t think so either, and Curtis says, TJ isn’t the only life Cyrus is targeting. He’s leveled threats at Trina. Laura says, Taggert is dead, but Jordan says Taggert’s family is important to her, so it’s leverage. Laura asks if Portia knows what’s going on, and Jordan says she does. Curtis says, Portia helped them with the medical crisis. Jordan says, Portia figured it out and was threatening to expose her. She had to tell Portia, and Portia planned out her seeing a specialist. Laura believes Jordan is doing what’s right, but this is far beyond what the law sanctions. Jordan says, as a mother, she had to hope Laura understood, and Laura says she does understand.

Cyrus asks how he can interpret Sonny’s action other than aggression. Sonny asks, what action? and Cyrus says, the hatchet job Lulu did on him in The Invader. She cited a source that was clearly someone in Sonny’s organization, saying he’s firing any staff connected to Sonny. Sonny is breaking the truce. Jason says, the staff firings are a matter of public record, and Sonny asks why Cyrus is upset? Is something going on at GH he doesn’t want public? Cyrus suggests they go into Sonny’s office, sit down, and discuss it like gentlemen.

Gregory goes back in Finn’s room, and Finn asks, where’s Chase? Gregory says Chase got a call from the station. He understands he has a granddaughter – Violet. Finn says he does, and Gregory asks, how is she? Finn smiles, and says she’s the greatest thing that ever happened to him. He can’t remember life without her, and wouldn’t want to. Gregory says, kids change everything, and Finn says, yeah.

Dante continues to copy Peter’s files. Apparently, Peter’s computer is even slower than mine. Peter walks in, and asks what Dante is doing there. Dante says, following orders, and puts his hand on his gun.

Peter asks, orders from who? and Dante says, from him. He’s head of security. Doesn’t Peter remembering offering him the job? He got a notice that there was an unauthorized user on Peter’s computer, trying to gain file access. Peter asks if that isn’t a matter for cyber security, but Dante says he thought he’d come in and make sure no one physically tampered with the computer. Peter asks if his files were touched, and Dante says, no. Peter says he has to make a last minute addition to the front page, and asks if it’s safe for him to use the computer. Dante says he’s all set, and Peter thanks him. Dante says he was just doing his job, and leaves. Peter sits down.

Sonny tells Cyrus, he’s on his way out. Say what he’s got to say now, or don’t say it at all. Cyrus says, Monica and Bobbie were fired for just cause. Jason says, because of a lawsuit that’s been dropped because Nelle is dead. Why not give them back their jobs? Cyrus says, it’s a matter of public record. If he hires them back, it’s a liability. As for Elizabeth and Epiphany, he’ll look into it, but the hospital… Sonny says, is a legitimate business. Cyrus says he’s glad they cleared that up. As for conceding, he hasn’t made up his mind. Sonny says he’ll make it up for him. There’s been no hostility on their end, but if Cyrus retaliates, he’ll take it as a hostile act. Cyrus says he wouldn’t dream of upsetting their delicate balance. He leaves, and Sonny says, that was interesting.

Laura says she can’t judge Jordan for protecting her child. To be honest, she would have done the same thing. Jordan thanks her, but Laura says, don’t thank her just yet. At some point, she’ll have to review all of this. As far as Jordan’s future with the PCPD, it depends on a lot of factors. Jordan has neutralized herself, so Cyrus can’t get to her to do any harm. While it was a good thing, putting Cyrus behind bars, as mayor she has to condemn creating false evidence. Personally, no one knows better than she does how you have to bend the rules sometimes to get justice. Laura asks if they found anything, but Curtis says, not as much as they’d hoped. There were signs that a patient was kept there; he found medical supplies and vials upstairs. Jordan says they weren’t not sure if it was someone kept of their free will or it was a prisoner. Laura says she assumes the latter, and Curtis says, they thought so too. Until he found something else.

Franco thanks Scotty for caring, and Scotty says, if anything happens to Franco… Don’t do anything stupid. He leaves, and Elizabeth comes out of the kitchen. She asks what’s up with Franco’s dad, and Franco says he felt left out. How was her day? She says all she could think about was this moment, when they could talk face to face. He says, about what? and she says, what’s going on with him?

Anna sees Gregory in the hallway, and he says he was hoping to see her. She says it’s wonderful to see him, and asks how it went. He says he and Finn managed to find common ground in Violet. Anna says she’s going in, and Gregory says, Finn just dozed off. She says she’s glad he’s there, and goes into Finn’s room. She sits by the bed, and he says, hi. She tells him, go back to sleep, but he says he’d probably dream about her. Why not stay awake, and actually see her? She says, good line, and he says he’s still got it. She agrees he does, and says she saw his father is there. So they had a nice chat? Finn says they talked about him meeting Violet someday, and Anna says she really wants Violet to have a sense of a larger family. He says, speaking of which, he saw she got the test results. Is Peter her son or Alex’s?

Anna tells Finn, the test revealed Faison carried the gene, so there’s no real way of finding out if Peter is her son or Alex’s with Faison. He asks what she told Peter, and she says, nothing. Faison is dead, and now Alex is dead, so there’s no real reason to burden Peter with uncertainty. She loves him like a son, and he deserves to live his life without being worried that with every decision, he’s taking after two psychopaths. He says he’s sorry she didn’t get a definitive answer, and she says it’s something she’ll have to learn live with.

Laura reads, I promise a plan is in play. It won’t be much longer. Hang in there, and remember I love you. Cyrus. She says she couldn’t find any personal connections to Cyrus, and Curtis tells her not to beat herself up about it. They hit the same wall, except for this. Jordan says, whoever was staying there, is Cyrus’s Achille’s heel. Laura says, but they don’t know who it is. The language is affectionate, but it could be his mother or another family member. Not necessarily romantic. Curtis says they were hoping it was a confidant. Someone who knows where the bodies are buried – literally and figuratively. Laura says, it’s worth a shot, and Jordan says Cyrus has been digging for information on a PCPD case that’s 40 years old, but it’s so heavily redacted, they can’t make anything out of it. She shows Laura the folder, and asks if it means anything to her.

Sonny says, it seems Cyrus still thinks Taggert is dead. Go home and stay there. Taggert says, that was too close, and Jason says he’ll get someone to drive Taggert. Taggert asks what Sonny is doing about Julian, and Sonny says, don’t worry. He’s watching Julian.

Lulu tells Maxie, she’ll always love Dante, but she loves Dustin. What she and Dante had together is over. Maxie asks if Lulu believes she can’t get it back, but Lulu asks, how? Dante turned his back on his family. Maxie says, it’s not that simple. Dante has PTSD, and was afraid he’d hurt someone, especially Lulu or the kids. Lulu says, it’s not that. It’s how he left. He cut them off completely cold. If he did it once, he could do it again.

Dante calls Dr. Kirk, and says he found it. What next?

Valentin goes to Peter’s office, and Peter says he knows they said they’d catch up soon, but he didn’t think Valentin meant immediately. Valentin says he’s just there to make sure everything is all right. Peter says Maxie and the baby are fine, so he’s fine. Valentin says, it must have been terrifying, and Peter says he felt a lot of things. What about Valentin? Valentin says it was quite an ordeal, but he made through thanks to Anna. Peter says his mother is something else, and Valentin says, she is indeed. Peter says she saved Valentin and Maxie, and his dearly departed aunt can’t hurt them again. Valentin agrees she can’t.

Anna tells Finn, despite their history and her feelings about Alex, it’s how it ended. She can’t settle on one emotion. It’s all right though. She has more important things to be concerned about. Finn says, she survived her sister. She can think about moving on now. Gregory pops in, and says he’s sorry to interrupt, and Anna says his timing is impeccable. Gregory says he wanted to let them know that he’d be staying at the MetroCourt. Finn says he’ll like it there. Jackie was staying there before she went running off after a story. Gregory says he’ll see them tomorrow. He leaves, and Anna says she’s glad Gregory decided to stay. Other than talking about Violet, how was it with his dad? He says, awful, and she laughs. He says, it was actually better than expected. What’s between them will always be there, and he doesn’t think it will ever go away.

Franco tells Elizabeth, when he collapsed, it wasn’t dehydration. His brain tumor is back.

Laura hands back the folder, saying, sorry. It doesn’t ring a bell. Curtis says, damn, and Jordan says, they knew it was a long shot. Laura says now that she knows they’re on the case, she’s going to head back. She’s been away too long. Jordan says, the city missed her, and Laura says, and she missed it. From now on, they’re working together. Curtis says they’ll keep her in the loop, and she’ll do the same. Laura says, absolutely, and Jordan says they’ll work until they uncover what Cyrus is hiding. Laura says she’ll see them at home, and leaves.

Outside, Laura leans against the wall for a moment. She takes out her phone, and makes a call. She says, it’s me. We’re in trouble.

Tomorrow, Franco tells Elizabeth, there are fates worse than death; Willow tells Michael, they can’t trust strangers with this task; and Cyrus tells Brando, they’ll have to rectify the situation.

The Real Housewives of Orange Country

Emily called Gina, and told her Braunwyn admitted she’d been taking things out on Gina, and owed her an apology. Gina said Sean cleaning up Braunwyn’s messes made it harder to deal with. Gina had her own stuff going on, and someone picking on her was not okay. Emily said she thought it was nothing personal. Braunwyn said she hadn’t liked Emily away last year because Emily called her out on her drinking. She thought Braunwyn had a hard time having relationships with people who disagreed with her, but felt Braunwyn was heartfelt and sincere in wanting to apologize. Ugh. I just don’t like Gina. I think she’s a follower and a poser. I’m always open to changing my mind, but something about her rubs me the wrong way. Like a cat getting petted backward.

Braunwyn’s son Jacob asked for a pair of heels for Christmas. God bless him, or any man who wants to wear heels. Or any woman for that matter. My feet protest just thinking about them. Braunwyn said, since Jacob was a baby, he loved fashion. She asked if it was for the pageantry or identity, but he didn’t know. She told us, what he did know was that he had a family that loved him no matter who he is. Jacob modeled some beautiful gowns, and in Braunwyn’s interview, she said Jacob told her that he wanted to do drag because it’s like therapy. It unlocks another part of himself, and she thought it made him stronger and more aware of who he was. He’d felt suppressed, and drag helped him get out of it. Braunwyn said we all need people who honestly love us, and thought the support Jacob got helped. He inspired her by taking the honest and true route, and she wanted to follow him. Her son was a role model to her.

Gina went see her lawyer Mike, who thought she could get her driver’s license back in another three months. In her interview, she said she’d done community service and was required to go to AA meetings. We flashed back to the last reunion, and Andy saying that Matt had been arrested for domestic violence. Mike told Gina that the court wants to know how the victim feels, and asked if she was making a victim impact statement. She said she and Matt were co-parenting well, and it was still hard to stand up to him. In her interview, she said she still struggled with what happened, and has bad dreams. She knew making a statement would be good and healthy for her, but didn’t know if she could. Mike said she would come out the other end as a survivor instead of a victim.

Shannon’s daughter Sophie was leaving for Baylor college soon, and Shannon thought it would be good for Sophie to be out there and taking care of herself. Sophie said she was meeting with publishing companies about her book. Shannon was afraid her daughters would hate her as they got older, since her parents fighting had affected her. Daughter Stella had told her that one day be they’d be older and realize what she did. In Shannon’s interview, she said the saving grace was her girls seeing what a happy relationship looked like. In Sophie’s interview, she said it didn’t matter to her who Shannon dated, but she needed support both emotionally and financially. Sometimes she thought John couldn’t do both, but it wasn’t her business.

Braunwyn went dress shopping with Kelly for Kelly’s wedding dress, and her vow renewal dress. She told Kelly that she’d dreamt Kelly was pregnant, and in Kelly’s interview, she said, no, no, no. Braunwyn told the clerk that she was going to be renewing her vows, and wanted to have a moment. Kelly said it was her third wedding, and she didn’t. In her interview, Braunwyn said she and Sean had done a ten year vow renewal after they’d gone through a hard time. This one was important, since they were starting a new chapter, and there was nowhere she’d rather be. Braunwyn liked all the dresses, but Kelly, not so much. In Kelly’s interview, she said she felt embarrassed, being married three times. She thought the third time was the charm. She hoped so anyway. In Braunwyn’s interview, she said, as a mother, it freaks her out that people will hate Jacob without knowing him, but if you stand in your truth, you can’t go wrong.

In Elizabeth’s interview, she said her nieces and nephews fulfill her maternal instinct. She set up a million dollar trust for each of them, but they didn’t know it. She didn’t want them to murder her. She told us that her sister Anna started takin heroin at age 14. Their father died of alcoholism, and seeing Anna’s daughter going through what she went through hurt her heart. No amount of money would help her sister. She was where she wanted to be, and had every opportunity. Elizabeth was saving all her clothes, in the hopes they’d play dress up again one day.

Shannon and Gina went to Elizabeth’s house for lunch. Elizabeth and Shannon talked beach houses and Ferraris, and in her interview, Gina said this was the good Orange County stuff. Who has the cooler Ferrari? She felt a competition for richest bitch in Newport coming on. In Shannon’s interview, she said it wasn’t the kind of luncheon she’d throw, but gave Elizabeth an A for effort. Shannon tends to tip the scales toward dislike with me too. I’m hoping now that she’s not in Tamra’s clutches, she might stop acting like she’s so far above everyone else. Shannon said she’d texted Braunwyn, and Elizabeth thought they should rally. Gina thought they should let Braunwyn flounder. In Elizabeth’s interview, she says she thought Gina should be more sensitive. Gina said she declined Braunwyn’s renewal invite, but Shannon said all of the kids were invited. She couldn’t tell them they can’t go because of a girl fight. Gina said she was trying her best to act like things were okay, but Matt was coming for Sienna’s birthday party, and she wasn’t good at dealing with things. Shannon told them about Sophie writing a book on living with divorcing parents, and Elizabeth said Sophie wanted to break the cycle. In Gina’s interview, she said she hoped her daughter was strong, and thinks she’s strong. Shannon said one day Gina would look back, and thank God it happened, because it’s what got her where she is.

We started hearing about the corona virus, and Kelly told Elizabeth she thought it was like a super flu. Elizabeth took Kelly and Shannon along when she bought herself a midlife crisis car. In her interview, she said cars turned her on. She thought maybe she was substituting speed for other things in her life that she was missing. Elizabeth told Shannon and Kelly that they should be cautious with drinking around Braunwyn, but Kelly said she wasn’t a quitter. In Elizabeth’s interview, she said she was disappointed with Kelly’s behavior. Braunwyn reminded her of her sister, and needs to feel like she belongs. Kelly rode along on Elizabeth’s test drive, and looked like she might have a heart attack a few times. Back at the lot, Shannon got in tiny Ferrari – I guess for kids – and drove around. In her interview, she said she didn’t need a big vagina car.

Braunwyn picked up Gina for the meeting, and Gina said she appreciated it. No one told her about Braunwyn’s drinking problem, and Braunwyn said she wasn’t ready to talk about it. Sean kept her image protected, and she’d thought she had enough sober years under her belt to handle it. Having a baby was the easy way out, and she had been talking to Sean about having another one. Gina said Braunwyn was doing the thing she knew to sober up.

Lizzy – remember her? – came by Emily’s house. In her interview, Emily said Lizzy had a bathing suit company, and asked her to help design a suit for her body type. Lizzy told Emily that everyone loves her suits, except Tamra. Emily said she gets messages thanking her for not trying to be something she’s not. She’s unapologetically not size zero, and a twelve-year-old had told her that she was an inspiration.

Braunwyn and Gina went for coffee after the meeting. Braunwyn thanked Gina for the most awkward playdate ever. In Gina’s interview, she said, on their way in, a guy asked if one of them wanted to lead the meeting, so she nominated Braunwyn. Braunwyn made a speech about her anger toward Gina, and apologized. It meant a lot to her, and she gave Braunwyn credit for doing it. Braunwyn had been there for her at her low point, but she hadn’t realized Braunwyn was drinking. Gina suggested they start over. In her interview, Braunwyn said if women could get past the outside stuff, most of them would find out they have more things in common than not.

Gina told boyfriend Travis that she thought it was going to be weird, having dinner with Matt and Britt for Sienna’s birthday. Travis told her, only if she made it weird. In Gina’s interview, she said she felt she had to make the victim impact statement, because it had been the most significant event in her life. She wanted to make life happy for her kids, but hoped Matt would hear it, and it would effect change. She didn’t want to be the person responsible for him going to jail, but thought it was beneficial for her kids to see her standing up for herself. She wasn’t the person who was going to save him anymore.

Next time, a workout, Braunwyn’s mom Deb says Braunwyn isn’t as fun anymore, Braunwyn is finding out who her friends are, Kelly wines about no tequila at the vow renewal, and the vow renewal.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City – The Premiere

First of all, who’s who:

https://www.bravotv.com/the-real-housewives-of-salt-lake-city/about

This is mostly my first impression. I’m not going to memorize anyone’s name tonight, and half of them look the same. The show seemed to focus more on glitz and glamor than anything else.

The narration – by who, I don’t know – said there was an elite social circle in Salt Lake City. Mormons don’t drink, don’t swear, and treat their bodies like temples. Fidelity is expected in marriage, and they watch for sin. You think you know who they are, but you’re wrong. Friendships define us, and choices can destroy us. In the opening credits, the women hold snowflakes.

First, we met Jen. She seemed like the self-described leader of the group. Her husband is a football coach for the University of Utah, and they met in college. She was a Mormon, and her husband a Muslim, but when she realized she was part of a religion that didn’t accept many of the people she cared about, such as Black people (her husband is Black, as are her children) – she converted. Her personal and business assistant Stuart knows everything about her, even when she gets her period. He knows more than her husband knows.

Tall and blonde Heather told us, Mormon doctrine says perfection is attainable. So she owns Beauty Lab and Laser where she’s made a mint. Her ancestors were Mormon pioneers, and he husband’s family inherited Howard Hughes’s wealth, as he was enamored of the Mormons. Things went south when she and her husband divorced, since that’s not an option in the Mormon church. She said a lot of the things she does, aren’t in alliance with Mormon women.

Meredith is Jewish, and from Chicago. She has a high-end store with a celebrity following. Lisa is also Jewish by heritage, but Mormon by choice. She and her husband own a couple of liquor brands, and are working on their own vodka. She also owns a luxury marketing company. She could give a flying that Mormons aren’t supposed to drink alcohol.

Whitney is a small blonde, and is married to Justin, who’s 18 years her senior. They had an office romance that they kept hidden, since they were both married to other people. They finally married when Whitney was five months pregnant, and she and Justin ended up excommunicated. Whitney’s father had been the bodyguard for Joseph Smith and Brigham Young (the Mormon founders), so a lot of people were resentful. She was happy some of her family and friends were coming around after ten years.

Last, but for sure not least, we met Mary when she got together with Whitney for lunch. Whitney told us that Mary had no filter. Mary claimed that she bought what made her happy, not because of the brand, yet she seemed compelled to name every brand she was wearing as an automatic response. Like when someone said, I love that dress, she replied, Valentino – runway. She’d married her step-grandfather when her grandmother passed away, as her grandmother had suggested in her will. In Lisa’s interview, she summed it up with saying, sh*t is weird. I’m guessing they feel this is biblical. I had an old lady neighbor who had married her sister’s husband when the sister died because that was what was expected in their religion. Now I’m wondering if she was Mormon. Mary was also a Pentecostal minister – another thing she inherited from her grandmother – but didn’t like being called pastor because the title sounded old lady. Like marrying her step-grandfather didn’t.

Mary had been friends with Jen until they’d met at a restaurant, and Mary said Jen smelled like a hospital. Mary explained that a hospital smell was a trigger for her, and reminded her of a dark time in her life. In Jen’s interview, she was clueless about this, but said she’d been in the hospital with an aunt who’d needed both legs amputated. I would have liked to know why, but she didn’t say.

Jen went to Heather to get Botox in her armpits, and they planned a party for Meredith’s birthday. Jen admitted she was throwing it for herself too, and wanted a club vibe. Lisa and Meredith hung out together, and in her interview, Lisa said that she’d met Meredith on a friendship board blind date when she first moved to Utah. While Whitney was out with Mary, she got an invite from Jen to Meredith’s birthday party. Mary didn’t think she’d be invited because of the hospital smell thing, and Whitney was like, oops. At the end of the invite, it said not to tell anyone. You’d think the invitation would have led with that. By the end of the lunch, Mary also got an invite. In Jen’s interview, she said she hadn’t wanted to invite Mary, but Mary was on Meredith’s guest list. Heather said she went to college with Lisa, but Jen said Lisa apparently didn’t remember her, which irritated Heather to no end. She told Jen that she felt dismissed by Lisa, and Jen called Lisa a Mormon 2.0. Heather said she was Mormon bullsh*t. Meredith’s son told his father that he didn’t know who Prince was, and I hoped to God he was kidding, since it didn’t look like he lived on the moon. Meredith’s husband had to work in Chicago, where his business was located, but arranged for the entire bedroom to be covered in rose petals on her birthday. And I mean covered. It was like wall-to-wall, and I actually thought it was a little gross. In Meredith’s interview, she said she would rather her husband be there in person.

I have to give Jen credit, she was pushing around a Swiffer before the party. In her interview, she said her parties were a grand transformation, and she had a red carpet situation set up. Meredith said she knew the party was for her birthday, but the reality was, it wasn’t a party for her. In her interview, she said she’d never make a grand entrance at a party she was throwing for someone else. Jen even had Tongan dancers put on a performance to celebrate her own heritage. It was kind of weird. Jen confronted Mary, saying she’d been offended by Mary saying she smelled like a hospital when her aunt was having her legs amputated. She expected an apology, but Mary just said the smell took her to a dark place, and couldn’t see what the big deal was. Jen went into another room, closed the door, and went apesh*t.

This season, Heather will cut a bitch; if follow you follow the commandments, you will be wealthy and blessed; Mary leads a church service; being good Mormon isn’t easy; there’s darkness under the crust of perfection; Meredith’s husband thinks she’d hiding something, and leaves; and a fight at a spa.

🏃🏽‍♀️ Moving On…

Jumping over the hump and heading toward what the world once called a weekend, and now calls, when will the bar open to full capacity again? Even at a quarter capacity, stay safe, stay thanking our veterans, and stay not throwing a party for yourself when it’s someone else’s birthday.

November 12, 2019 – Cassandra’s Final Escape, Puppet Masters Abound, Friend Goes Rogue & Boogie On

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

I miss like, ten seconds of dialogue. Jax is angry, and Nikolas is explaining himself.

Nikolas says, what’s done is done; he can’t change it. Jax says, maybe he can. He can come clean, and sort this mess out. Nikolas says he’s not blowing the deal now. Finding the portrait is his best shot to claim what’s rightfully his, and Jax will get… Jax says he doesn’t need it. Nothing is worth this part. Carly knocks at the door, saying she needs to talk to Jax. Nikolas goes back out on the terrace, and Jax answers the door. He tells Carly that he’s glad she came back.

Hayden asks what Finn is thinking. Finn says he tucked his daughter in for the first time, and she asks how he feels. He says it’s a simple thing; pulling up the covers, and kissing her goodnight. Violet will never remember it, but he’ll never forget.

Robert arrives at the PCPD, apologizing for being late. He was tied up. He asks Jordan where they’re at, and Jordan says, Cassandra escaped while she was on work detail at Rice Park. They’re casing the area, but there’s been a complication. Cassandra might have a hostage.

Lulu says she should have been paying closer attention, but Maxie says it’s not her fault, and Laura says Lulu had no reason to believe Charlotte would run off. She’s never done that before. Lulu agrees she hasn’t, and Laura hugs her, saying, it’s not her fault.

Valentin and Nina get back to Windymere, and Nina asks if Valentin wants a drink. It might take the edge off. He says he needs to keep a clear head if he wants to rescue Charlotte. Cassandra will try to double-cross him. Nina asks if he’s sure he doesn’t want to tell the police, but he says, they’ll just get in the way. That’s why they had to get out of there, so he can take care of it without interference. The doorbell rings. It’s Jason, and Valentin asks what he can do for him. Jason says he has questions about Cassandra.

Cassandra says she imagines Anna is armed, and carries a phone. Just take them both out slowly, and throw them into the harbor. Cassandra has one hand tightly on Charlotte’s throat, and tells Anna to follow her instructions. This young girl shouldn’t be near a gun. Anna asks if Charlotte remembers her; she’s Emma’s grandmother. She tells Charlotte that she’s doing great, and Cassandra says, into the harbor. Anna tosses her gun and phone into the water, telling Charlotte, stay calm and it will be okay. Cassandra suggests they not get ahead of themselves. What does Anna want? Why is she back in town? Anna says she thought they could catch up, and Cassandra says she’s pressed for time. Anna asks how Charlotte is a factor, and Cassandra says Charlotte is coming with her.

Jason tells Valentin about Cassandra escaping work detail, and Nina says they’re aware of it. Valentin says they just came from the PCPD. They thought he might have a lead, but he doesn’t know where Cassandra is. Jason says they think Sam might have helped Cassandra escape, and he needs to find her. Valentin is her only associate in town. Valentin says he’s not Cassandra’s associate. They knew each other a long time ago. He wouldn’t help her then, and he won’t help her now. Valentin’s phone rings, and Jason asks if he’s going to get that. Valentin says he’d like Jason to leave. Jason asks, who could help Cassandra disappear? What offshore resources does she have, and where is she likely to run? Nina says Valentin doesn’t know anything, so stop hounding him. Please leave. Jason asks, what’s going on? and Nina says Jason barged into their home at this fragile time, and is interrogating them, which he has no right to do. Get out. Jason says they’ll get farther if they work together, and Valentin says he has no clue where Cassandra is. Jason trudges out.

Anna asks if Cassandra dropped a call. Reception can be sketchy on Spoon Island. Cassandra asks what makes Anna thinks she’s calling Valentin. She’s sitting on a lot of resources. Anna says she doesn’t need Charlotte then, but Cassandra says Charlotte figures quite prominently in her arrangement. Anna says Cassandra isn’t going anywhere. Cassandra tells her that she’d hate to see Charlotte suffer, and Anna says if she harms a child, she’ll have the wrath of all the law enforcement and civilians alike on her. She’d like to offer Cassandra an alternative. Let Charlotte go, and Anna will let her walk away.

Hayden thanks Finn for asking them to stay the night, and he thanks her for staying. She says she knows things are difficult, and Finn says, just a bit. It will take time to work through this, but he won’t allow his anger to detract from the gift she’s given him – his daughter. She says she was afraid she’d never have a chance to hear him say that. He says it’s because of her. She could have chosen to never see him again. She says she’s glad she didn’t.

At the station, Jason tells Jordan, the 911 caller said Cassandra was seen at Parkland and Telegraph, ten blocks from Kelly’s, and Charlotte disappeared within the hour. Robert asks, what happened? and Lulu says she and Maxie were talking, and Charlotte was doing homework at the counter. When Lulu went to get Charlotte, she was gone. Jordan says Brad thinks he saw a woman fitting Cassandra’s description there. Peter comes in, and Robert tells him, get out. No press allowed. Maxie says he’s not there as the press; he’s there as a friend.

Carly tells Jax that she thought she’d follow-up on their conversation. Josslyn loves the room he chose for her. Jax says, it will be amazing once it’s renovated. Carly doesn’t believe the room isn’t ready, and asks, what’s really going on? He says he’s involved with something, and she asks if he can be more vague. He says he can’t get into details, but he can’t have Josslyn near it or in danger. The situation is volatile, and if he doesn’t wrap it up soon, he’s going to cut his losses and move on. It’s no big deal. She says, it’s big deal to Josslyn. Nikolas comes in from the terrace and says, it’s his fault. Jax has been helping him, one father to another.

Cassandra tells Anna, let her get it straight. If she lets the girl go, she gets to go free. Anna tells her, she said nothing about free. She’ll give Cassandra a head start. Cassandra says, you never accept the first offer, and Anna says, counter. Cassandra says, she’ll let go of Charlotte, the charges get dropped, and she gets immunity. Anna says, no way, and Cassandra tells her to get down on the pier. Anna asks what she’s going to do. Cassandra can’t watch them both, and make a phone call. Cassandra says she has no shortage of resources. Turn around. Two guys are standing behind Anna, and Cassandra dials the phone.

Nina tells Valentin, sorry she was so out of control. She thinks Jason is suspicious. Valentin says, it doesn’t matter. Nina says Maxie speaks highly of Jason. He shot Faison, and could do the same with Cassandra. Teaming up might not be a horrible idea. Valentin says it might sound attractive, but Jason doesn’t know Cassandra. He’s one step ahead of her. He’ll save Charlotte. He needs to know Nina trusts him. A call from Charlotte comes in, and Valentin answers. Cassandra suggests he not ignore her call again. Charlotte will pay next time. He says he’s ready to make arrangements.

Hayden tells Finn, for a long time, she intended to raise Violet alone. Eventually, she’d be old enough to ask questions. Finn says, then what? and she says she’d make up a story about a man who never existed. That’s how she grew up; believing a lie. It’s contributed to the terrible choices she’s made, and she didn’t want Violet to repeat the pattern. She decided to tell Violet the truth, but she wanted to tell him first. Finn says, and when she was ready, he was with Anna.

Lulu thanks Peter for coming; she’s glad Maxie called him. He tells her all of his resources are at their disposal. Robert doesn’t think broadcasting that a little rich girl has been abducted is a good idea. Jordan says Valentin will be inundated with false leads. Peter says, abducted? and Maxie says he heard about Cassandra’s escape, right? Lulu says they’re afraid she might have Charlotte.

Carly says, it’s you, and Nikolas says, alive and in person. She says he didn’t die in Greece, and he says, it was a close call. Valentin shot him, and he nearly died in the water, but eventually, he was rescued. She asks where he’s been, and he says, recovering. He’s back to reclaim the estate for himself and Spencer. She doesn’t care about that. Who knows he’s alive? Jax says, himself, Hayden, and now her. Carly asks what about his family? and Nikolas says he needs to remain in hiding. Carly says, his mother needs to know he’s alive.

Robert says Laura found Cassandra last time. Any idea where she might go? Laura says she and Curtis found her by chance. She has no idea how Cassandra operates. Robert says he’ll contact the Bureau, and access whatever intel they’ve got. Jordan says she knows Laura and Curtis are solving a mystery case. Any chance it ties back to Cassandra?

Peter asks if Valentin knows about Charlotte, and Maxie says he just missed Valentin and Nina. Things got tense. He asks, how? and Lulu says Nina thinks it’s her fault. Nina thanks she upset Charlotte when she stopped the wedding, and that’s why she snuck off.

Finn pours a drink for himself and Hayden. Hayden says, Anna is a part of the situation too. Finn says, an important part. Hayden doesn’t mean to pry, but it would help to understand how Finn and Anna got together in the first place. I’d love to know the logic there. Help what or who? He says, it was by accident. They went out looking for Hayden; Anna wanted the diamonds, and he wanted a chance to see her. They even met with Hayden’s father. After that, Anna blackmailed him into going to Monaco to track down a criminal. She says, sounds romantic, and he says, like him, Anna has a lot of baggage. And like him, she always protects herself and her heart. Her first instinct is to run. Hayden asks if that’s what Anna is doing now; running.

Nikolas understands where Carly is coming from, but he has strong reason to believe there’s a codicil that can prove Valentin was disinherited. Carly says Laura needs to know he’s alive. She lost Morgan, and if he knew the grief over losing a child, he would never do this to his mother. She knows what she’d give to hold Morgan, and Laura aches for Nikolas. She needs to see him, and hold him. She needs to know he’s come back, and if he won’t tell her, Carly will.

Anna asks if the guys are associates of Cassandra’s. One of them says they’re contractors. Cassandra says, they do brutal, excellent work. She contacted them as soon as she was out of solitary. She wanted to make sure she had adequate back-up. Anna tells her, hired muscle isn’t going to help her; she’s never getting away. Cassandra says as long as she’s got Charlotte, she’s got Valentin, and they know how good he is with logistics. Charlotte bites Cassandra’s hand, and she lets go. Anna tells Charlotte to run, and she takes off. The guys grab Anna, and Cassandra says, knock her out. Better yet, break her neck.

Nikolas respects Carly looking out for his mother, and Carly says, then tell her. Don’t make her do it. He says he’s looking at it from his perspective as a father. She doesn’t think she can understand it, if he’s keeping his family in the dark. Jax says, he wouldn’t have gotten involved if he didn’t see the merit in it. If she listens to what Nikolas has to say, she will too. She says she’s listening. Nikolas tells her that there’s a codicil that disinherits Valentin. He’s returned to establish himself and his heirs. If Valentin gets wind of it, he’ll destroy the codicil. His best chance is if Valentin doesn’t see it coming. He can’t know Nikolas is alive. Carly says they’re talking about an estate and money. She’s talking about family and love. Nikolas says, so is he. Valentin was intent on murdering him. If he knows he failed, Valentin will go after Spencer and his mother. He wants nothing more than to go to his mother, sister, and son, and tell them that he’s still there, and how much he loves them. But if they find out the truth before he finds the codicil, they could all be in danger. He needs more time to claim what’s his, and what will eventually belong to Spencer. He can’t tell her what do. He can only hope she does what’s right for his family. Nikolas goes back outside.

Laura doesn’t think Cassandra is involved in what she and Curtis are doing. Jordan asks if she’d care to elaborate, and Laura says, it’s completely legal. Jordan says, great, and Laura says, sorry. Jordan says she knew it was a long shot, but she had to ask.

Maxie tells Lulu not to take what Nina said to heart. She’s coming from a place of fear. Lulu did nothing wrong. Lulu says, Nina was right about one thing. Charlotte was excited about the wedding, and despite Lulu’s best efforts to hide it, she and Valentin don’t get along. Maybe Charlotte could tell how she was feeling. Peter doesn’t buy it for a second.

Hayden tells Finn, sorry. His relationship with Anna is none of her business, mostly. He’s Violet’s father, and what affects him, affects Violet. She’s asking where it’s going, for Violet’s sake. Finn says there does seem to be a reason for Anna’s extended time away, but he’s sure the reason is valid. Yeah, she’s a professional spy on a personal mission. Did he miss that? Hayden asks if he feels abandoned, and he says, it’s not entirely Anna’s fault. He supposes he hasn’t been completely honest with her.

Val looks grim. He tells Nina, it’s done. He’s met all of Cassandra’s demands. She asks if he’s sure about this. He says, yes; why? and she tells him, he said so himself; Cassandra will double-cross him the first chance she gets. He says, she won’t while she can use Charlotte as leverage. If she’s smart, she’ll let Charlotte go when she gets what she needs. If she doesn’t, he’ll hunt her down. Nina says, what if Cassandra isn’t as smart as he is? What if she decides it’s safer to hold on to Charlotte?

Charlotte runs, and hides behind a trash can. One of the guys come through, looking for her. Jason comes out, and they fight. There’s a lot of swinging, and I have to say, I’ve never seen a fight scene with this much missing by a couple of inches. Was this guy afraid he’d hurt Steve Burton? It goes back and forth, but Jason finally gets the guy down, and punches him repeatedly. Honestly, I was laughing during that scene.

Cassandra tells Anna, Charlotte broke the skin with her little fangs. Human bites are the worst for being prone to infection. Being held by the other guy, Anna suggests she get that checked out. Cassandra says, Anna finds it amusing, and Anna says she thinks it’s great. Cassandra says when her man brings Charlotte back, she’ll have a front row seat to watch Anna die. She’ll be sufficiently cowed for the next leg of the trip.

Jason ties the guy up, and asks if Charlotte is okay. She nods.

Anna says maybe Cassandra’s henchmen lost the trail. Cassandra says maybe they found Charlotte’s hiding spot and shot her. Anna says she’s getting testy. Anna doesn’t blame her; her options are dwindling. Jason walks in, and the guy holding Anna is startled. Anna punches him, and then goes after Cassandra. They tussle, while Jason jumps on the guy.

Jax tells Carly that he and Nikolas had done business before, so he agreed to a meeting. Nikolas showed himself, and made a pitch to find the codicil. He’d sell Jax the entire shipping division of Cassadine Industries at a favorable price. She asks if it’s worth working with a man who’s faked his death twice. Jax says his first impulse was to walk away, but Spencer was also a factor. He thought she’d be more understanding. She says, why? and he says, keeping a secret for Spencer’s sake isn’t any different than keeping the secret about Dev. It’s the right thing for the wrong reason. Carly says, Nikolas will benefit most, but Jax says, it will eventually go to Spencer. He hasn’t forgotten the lie he told when he tried to claim Spencer as his own, and how she helped. Carly asks if he’s saying she should keep his secret as a penance.

Peter says Charlotte adores Lulu, and he’s seen their rapport. Lulu says, that’s sweet, and Maxie says, it’s the truth. Peter says, Charlotte was bored, mischievous, or saw something she wanted to look at. It was a momentary kid impulse. It happens. It’s not her fault, or indicative of her parenting skills. Maxie tells Lulu, what he said.

Jordan says when Cassandra was first arraigned, she made point of asking to speak to Laura alone. What did they talk about. Laura says, what she’d told them. Cassandra offered her dirt on Valentin in exchange for her help. She passed, but it looks like someone else took the deal.

Robert comes back, and says he went through all the files the Bureau has on Cassandra, but there’s nothing that ties her to a deal with Valentin. Jordan says, now what? He says, let’s look at it from another angle. How come Cassandra got on work detail that took her out of Pentenville? If that doesn’t scream plot, he doesn’t know what does. Jordan says, like the deal with the fake guard who helped Shiloh. Robert says, which brings him to another point. How come Peter visited Shiloh twice in the same day at Pentenville? What’s that about?

Valentin tells Nina, he never intended to be a father. He never wanted a child. When he was young, he was a bad man, and did bad things to people. He was fine being alone that way. No one had to pay for his mistakes. But through the demonic machinations of Helena, and embryo was created; his child Charlotte was born. From the moment they met, he knew he’d been changed forever. He held her, and promised nothing he’d done would come back to haunt her. He built a wall between the man he was and the man he became with her. There’s been a breech in that wall, and his past has reached through and taken his daughter. He cries, and says he’s doing everything he can, but he’s frightened. He’s afraid it won’t be enough. Nina holds him, and strokes his hair.

Anna and Cassandra fight, and Anna gets Cassandra down and in a headlock. Jason finishes off the other guy. Charlotte says, take that loser. Jason asks what she’s doing there, and Anna runs to her. Jason says he told Charlotte to stay put, but she says she wanted to see what was happening. Anna asks if she’s okay, and Charlotte says she’s fine. Anna tells Jason he has record timing, and Charlotte says, Cassandra is evil. She thanks them for saving her. Anna starts to say that Cassandra is going to spend the rest of her days in prison, but realizes Cassandra is gone.

Carly sighs, and asks if Jax is willing to wash his hands of Nikolas. Jax says if he exposes Nikolas, he exposes himself as well. Carly asks, how? and Jax says, Nikolas is an amateur. He used Jax’s credit card to rent a van to help Cassandra escape. She asks if the police know, and he says, not at this point. Only Jason. Sam gave him a partial plate number, and he had Spinelli trace it. It’s only a matter of time before the cops show up. Maybe he should get ahead, and just come clean. Call the authorities, and let them know. She says he can be charged as an accessory, and Josslyn needs him. He asks what she’s going to do, now that she knows Nikolas is alive. She says, it’s best if no one knows. They’ll have to keep Nikolas’s secret, like it or not.

Finn tells Hayden that he hasn’t told Anna about Violet. He wants to tell her face-to-face when she gets back. She says, even though he doesn’t know for how long? He says, yeah, but that doesn’t mean they have to wait to tell Violet. She asks if he wants to tell her, and he says he does – with her permission. She says, absolutely. Whenever he wants. He says, how about tomorrow morning? and she asks if he’s sure. He says they’re already staying the night. They’ll have breakfast as a family, and they’ll tell her then. He smiles.

Jordan tells Laura, maybe someone is helping Cassandra get away, and get to Valentin. Laura can’t think of who would be so desperate that they’d be willing to help Cassandra. Jordan ponders that.

Robert finds it curious that Peter happened to be on the pier the night Shiloh died. Maxie says, this is ridiculous. Lulu’s daughter is missing, and Peter is trying to help. He doesn’t need to be hounded about random visits to the prison that happened weeks ago. Robert says she assumes they’re random. Maxie asks if Robert has nothing better to do as DA than nurse his grudge against Peter. If Anna was there, he wouldn’t be saying any of this. Well, she should be there shortly, and we can find out.

Nina tells Valentin, it doesn’t matter about his past mistakes. That doesn’t change the fact he’s a good dad. Valentin says, a good dad would rescue his daughter. Nina asks what he’s going to do, and he asks if she can do him a favor. It might sound silly, but he’d like her to get the blanket they got Charlotte. He’d like to be close to something that means something to Charlotte. Nina says, it’s not silly; it’s sweet. She kisses him, and he says, Cassandra, where are you?

Anna, Jason, and Charlotte look out to the water. Anna says, she’s getting away. Charlotte wants to call her papa, but says Cassandra took her phone. Jason says, use his, and gives it to her. She calls, and says, please pick up. Valentin’s phone rings. The caller ID says private, and he picks up. He hears Charlotte’s voice, and says, thank God. Is she okay? Charlotte says she’s safe on the pier. He asks whose phone she’s using, and says, Jason’s. He saved her. Valentin asks if Cassandra is with them, but Charlotte says, she drove off on a boat.

Valentin gets another incoming call, and tells Charlotte, stay with Jason. He’ll call her back. Charlotte asks him to tell Nina that she loves her so much. Valentin says Nina loves her too. He takes the other call.

It’s Cassandra, calling from the boat. She says it’s exactly where he said it would be. It’s a testament to his good faith. She’s going to tell him who broke her out of the WSB. He says he doesn’t care. He just wanted to make sure she was on the boat. Goodbye. She says, what? She lifts a tarp, and sees a bomb underneath it. She says, no! and Valentin hits a red button on his phone. The boat explodes.

Anna says, that’s the end of that. An armed Nikolas peeks out from around the corner. Charlotte sees him.

Tomorrow, Josslyn wants to finish her conversation with Carly, Charlotte refuses to go home with Lulu, Robert thinks there’s something Anna should know, and Jax says he’s thisclose to blowing Nikolas’s cover.

The Real Housewives of Orange County

He says he’s been hanging out for the greatest girl, and Kelly says, not her? Emily tells them about Shannon bringing up their fight. Kelly says, it was twisted into something it wasn’t. She wonders what happened. She  talks to Tamra every morning. We see a clip of Tamra telling Kelly that she thinks Shannon is jealous of them being friends. Kelly says she felt like she was in a safe place with Tamra. Brian says, you can’t control how people act, but you can control how you react to it. Kelly says Tamra heard a rumor and told Braunwyn, and now Braunwyn told everyone else. She thought it was Vicki. Well, that would be a good guess.

Tamra meets Gina, who asks how her trip was. Tamra says, it sucked. The first day was good; they went hiking. Then Kelly sent her a nasty-ass text message. In Tamra’s interview, she says Eddie was trying to take her away from everything. He wanted her to relax, and now she’s paranoid. She tells Gina, it makes zero sense. Eddie took her away because of the stress, since Ryan is in therapy, and one of her daughters is going to college Tamra wonders what she did. Gina says she had a drink with Shannon after their dinner, and she had to stuff say about Tamra. We see a clip of Shannon telling Gina that Tamra said she was fat, and said that she didn’t want to room with Shannon on the next trip. Gina tells Shannon that she remembers Tamra saying it. In her interview, Tamra says, it’s a different kind of ice out; it’s nonchalant. Shannon keeps saying they’ll talk later, but she’s full of it. If she did this to Shannon, Shannon would be screaming and yelling. Gina thinks Tamra should talk to Shannon. Tamra thinks that Shannon doesn’t like that she’s friends with Kelly. She has a gut feeling that Shannon is behind this. Gina says, something isn’t right.

Kelly tells Emily that she asked if Tamra was talking sh*t about her, but she said no. Emily tells Brian that Tamra likes to push Kelly’s buttons to get her to lose it on other people. Brian says, she’s a puppet master, and Kelly agrees, calling herself an idiot.

Braunwyn takes daughter Bella to orientation at Cal State Fullerton college. Braunwyn is excited for her to have the college experience, but when all the kids leave, and Braunwyn isn’t a mom, it will be a hard experience for her. Bella is running late, and Braunwyn tells her not to sabotage herself.

Shannon tells Sophie that they’re behind the eight ball with the college counselor. Sophie says, there are people who didn’t go to college who are billionaires. In Shannon’s interview, she says she doesn’t want to think about Sophie going to college. It’s going to happen fast. Her kids aren’t with her half the time now; she can’t imagine none of the time. Sophie says getting a degree from community college is the same as any other college, but Shannon says, it absolutely matters where you go. Sadly, although it shouldn’t, Shannon is right. She asks Sophie about her requirements, and Sophie wants school spirit, good gateways to life after college, and Southern boys. Shannon hopes one of those Southern gentlemen is the guy.

When they get to Fullerton, Braunwyn says, when she was Bella’s age, she met Bella’s dad. Bella says, then she got pregnant, but Braunwyn says, that was four years later. In Braunwyn’s interview, she says her biggest regret is how quickly she got engaged. She was already living with Sean, and it would have been nice to do the college thing. A girl meets them to give them a tour.

College counselor Yosepha arrives at Shannon’s house. In her interview, Shannon says it can cost thousands for a college counselor, and I say, wtf? Maybe you shouldn’t be going to college if you need a counselor to help get you there. Shannon says she’ll do anything to get her kid into college. The Beadors are above the law. No. Wait. She says she got that wrong. The Beadors are not above the law. A Freudian slip? Yosepha tells Sophie the three factors are, the standard tests, marketing herself, and building a school list. Schools are looking for leaders, and she has to shape and mold her experiences, so she stands out. In other words, enhance her resumé. Sophie says she’s writing a book about living with divorced parents. It’s hard sometimes. In Shannon’s interview, she says she’s afraid to read it. She’ll see how deeply her actions have hurt and affected her daughter. Yosepha says a lot of people have those ideas, but not the follow-through. That could make Sophie stand out. Sophie says she wants to be a psyche major, and Yosepha tells her that she could also go into marketing or business with that. It’s got a flexible career path.

Bella says she wants to major in the arts; music, dance, drawing, and painting. In Braunwyn’s interview, she says she’s excited about Bella’s path to her future. Kids grow up and live their own story, but when they start their story, they leave hers. Sean says, it could be worse. They could be excited she’s leaving. Bella says she worked hard to get there, and tears up. Braunwyn hugs her.

Kelly asks Jolie to help fold clothes. She asks if Jolie is excited to go to London. In Kelly’s interview, she says she’s proud of Jolie, going by herself. She’ll be going to museums and plays, and experiencing what the world is like. She won’t be stuck in OC with a bunch of rich kids. Jolie says Kelly is angry all the time; why is she mad? Kelly asks why Jolie thinks she gets mad at her, and Jolie says, because she doesn’t listen, but why is she mad at other people? Kelly says, people bug her. She hates people. Jolie says people who hurt, hurt other people. Kelly lets the haters stay with her. In her interview, Kelly says, Jolie is an old soul. She’s learned so much from her. She has a knack for brushing off haters. It’s bizarre. She asks Jolie how to be the bigger person, and Jolie says, don’t listen.

Tamra and Ryan go therapist Mcayla. (Yep. That’s how it’s spelled.) Tamra says she’s there to fill in the blanks or support. Mcayla says they did Ryan’s history and his motivation for being there. How is he feeling currently? In Tamra’s interview, she says the therapist thought it would be good for her to come in. Ryan’s not in a good head space. She tells Mcayla that she saw Ryan’s mood swings, and he’s at a point where he’s numb to life. Her theory is that when he’s overloaded, he shuts down. He’s not happy, and she wants to see him happy. Mcayla asks about the circumstances in the beginning. Was Tamra married to Ryan’s father? Tamra grabs some tissues, and says she was seventeen, pregnant, and still in high school. They got married, and it lasted a year. After that, she and Ryan were alone for thirteen years. She carries guilt because she feels like she let him down. She sees her other kids now having the opportunities Ryan didn’t have. He ran when he was eighteen, because he couldn’t stand his stepdad. In Ryan’s interview, he says it wasn’t the worst life, but the older he gets, he sees how his brother and sister are growing up, and he’s a little bit angry inside. We flash back to a million years ago, and Ryan complaining that Simon is controlling him. Mcayla asks what kind of emotions come up in thinking about his stepfather, and Ryan says he wasn’t there for his granddaughter’s birth, and he’s just not there. Mcayla asks if he knows what’s under the anger, and Ryan says he’s disappointed. It’s sad, and he’s hurt. She asks about his relationship with his daughter, and Tamra says she’s his world. Mcayla says they have an emotional connection? and Ryan starts to cry. Tamra says, he’s a good dad. She sees him putting all his energy into his daughter. In Tamra’s interview, she says she can see it in his eyes; he’s not himself. He’s so troubled by his past, and doesn’t want his daughter to have that life. He wants to protect her, and won’t let people in. He isolates with his daughter, and she’s worried. Mcayla says feelings and emotions are intertwined with thoughts, and you have to find where it’s coming from. Depression is a by-product. Mcayla reads what Ryan has written about himself, that he’s a failure, powerless, and doesn’t belong. He doesn’t matter. Tamra says it makes her want to die. She’s struggled with depression, and to hear him say these things scares her. Mcayla says Tamra is his mother, and knows the depth of his outlook. In her interview, Tamra says her biggest fear is suicide. Tamra shows Mcayla a list Ryan made when he was doing well. He wrote down his goals, and she keeps it in her wallet. It’s where he was six years ago. Mcayla tells Ryan not to give up on the process when it gets hard. She has confidence that he’ll do it. She tells Tamra that she did the best she could as a mother. His mother can’t be his therapist. Ryan thanks Tamra for getting him there.

Sidebar: Gina and Tamra are starting to deserve each other. Gina is so desperate to fit in she’s become a Tamra mini me

Gina brings her kids to the playground, accompanied by her parents Susan and Gino. She tells them Matt is looking for a job in the area. He’s being good with the kids. Susan asks if it’s for the right reasons. What if he doesn’t get back with her. Gina says she gets nervous because he’s jealous. She knows if she doesn’t end up with him, he won’t do it gracefully. In her interview, she says if Matt doesn’t get his way, it’s a problem for everyone else. She thinks he’ll make problems for her, and make co-parenting an issue. Susan says it sounds like Gina found herself, and asks if she still has feelings for Matt. Gina doesn’t know. She wants to work on it, but doesn’t know if she can get back to the place they need to be. She still wants the divorce regardless. She feels like that’s over. In Gina’s interview, she says when they got married, they were very young and immature, and ultimately the relationship failed. If they get back together, she doesn’t want to bring old problems into the new relationship. Gina says she wants to be in love, but she’s not there emotionally. She’s put her toe in the dating water, and discovered there are qualities that are non-negotiable. Dr. Hottie is very funny and polite. Gino says he doesn’t want to see Gina settle. Susan wonders if there will be a whiplash affect; where Matt is nice, but then blows up. Gina says she has to set boundaries. I think that ship might have sailed when she slept with Matt. Luca runs up, and says he doesn’t understand what chinchillas are. Gina says, they’re marsupials. He goes back to the playground, and she says she really has no idea. I can tell, because they’re not marsupials. They’re rodents. Very cute and soft rodents. Now I want one.

Tamra tells Eddie about therapy. She told the therapist about Ryan’s background growing up, and her view of what’s going on. It turned into a therapy session for the two of them. In her interview, Tamra says she never really opens up. It’s not the way she was raised. She tells Eddie, she thinks she carries guilt because she didn’t give Ryan a perfect childhood. A lot came out, and Ryan broke down. Eddie says, that’s the first step to recovery; breaking down. She says Ryan had to write a list of how he feels about himself, and it said, loser, not worth anything, going nowhere. It was sad. In his interview, Eddie says, Tamra is a great mom. Every kid is different, but when you’re struggling with your childhood as a man, you’re not a man. Get over it, grow up, and take care of your responsibilities. That’s life. Tamra tells Eddie that Shannon isn’t calling her, and Kelly is asking what she did. In her interview, Tamra wonders what’s going on. When she left, she and Kelly were fine. Eddie asks what prompted it, and she has the feeling Shannon is behind it. He says she needs new friends. She says she doesn’t need friends like that for sure.

Braunwyn, Emily, and Kelly meet for lunch. They get shrimp cocktails that have shrimp the size of my hand in them. Kelly says her brother Eric has been calling. He feels she’s not helping her mom. We flash back to Kelly and mom Bobbi in therapy, and Bobbi insisting she’s not telling Kelly what to do, while telling her what to do. Emily says she’s been through it, and thinks Kelly has to be willing to reach out. Kelly says her mother doesn’t want to talk to her, and Braunwyn can’t wrap her brain around being that angry with her children. Emily says Kelly should reach out directly. When Emily was in that position, she realized if something happened to her mother, she’d lose her mind. Kelly says, it’s scary, and Emily says if her mother rejects her, it’s on her mother. Kelly gets weepy, and Emily says Kelly can fix it. In Emily’s interview, she says she begged her mom to get therapy, and it’s been rewarding for both of them. We see a clip of Emily’s mother thanking her. Kelly thanks them for being supportive. Emily says she has to let her guard down sometime, and reach out. Braunwyn hopes it’s not like that with her girls. Emily says Kelly needs to figure out where she and her mother are at, and if it goes sideways… Braunwyn says Kelly will know she did what she needed to do. Kelly thanks them, and Braunwyn says they’re ride or die. No drama with them. Emily says she’s supposed to have dinner with Tamra and Vicki, and she’s worried it will be a Kelly bashing session. She doesn’t want to go there, and Kelly says, tell them off.

Shannon meets Tamra, and asks how she is. Tamra says, horrible; thanks for asking. Shannon laughs, thinking Tamra is joking, but Tamra says she thinks they’d better cut to the chase. Tell her what the sh*t storm is about. Shannon doesn’t know, but at dinner things were said, and she felt blindsided. Tamra asks, what things? and Shannon says Kelly told her how many mean things Tamra has said about her. She said Tamra thought she faked being hurt in Arizona, and said she wanted to room with just Kelly and Gina on the next trip. Gina remembered Tamra saying it. Tamra says she and Kelly were so drunk, they don’t know how they got home. She doesn’t remember planning a trip that’s not happening. What else was said? Shannon tells her, she heard Tamra said she’s getting fat. She told them, if what they were saying was true, it hurts. Tamra asks if Shannon stuck up for her, and Shannon says, in the beginning. Tamra says, but not at the end? Shannon says Kelly showed her a screenshot of Tamra making fun of her being hit in the head. Tamra says it’s just a video she sent, and asks, what’s the missing link? What happened to make Kelly switch? It makes no sense.

Braunwyn tells Kelly and Emily that when Tamra gets in trouble, she says Braunwyn did it. Kelly says Tamra is a master manipulator. Braunwyn says, it’s like a chess game with middle-aged women. Kelly says the others are calculated chess players, and they’re checkers. Braunwyn laughs, and says they’re just having fun. They’re beer pong. Emily says Kelly is the dumbest smart person she’s ever met.

Tamra tells Shannon for Kelly to switch like that makes no sense. She just started trashing Tamra? Shannon asks if Tamra is alluding that she’s behind this. We flash back to each of the women taling about something that Tamra did, and Braunwyn telling them that Tamra is manipulating them into fighting among themselves. Shannon says she’s been nothing but a good friend to Tamra, and Tamra tells her not to spin it. Shannon says she didn’t call because Tamra was on her trip, and Tamra tells her, don’t try to flip this. Shannon asks if Tamra is accusing her of orchestrating and provoking a conversation with Kelly. Tamra says Shannon is a puppet master; she’s so calculated. Shannon didn’t tell her anything in the past five days, and it’s been hell for her. Shannon says Tamra told her that she and Eddie were going to have sex all weekend; she wasn’t effing that up, and have Eddie say Tamra was upset because she called to tell Tamra about high school BS. Tamra says Kelly sent her a nasty text. Does Shannon think it didn’t ruin her day? Tamra pulls out a pile of texts she’s printed out.

Shannon says she doesn’t know what she did that was so bad. Maybe her repeating what Tamra told her about Kelly hurting that woman’s hand provoked it, but Tamra did tell her that. What’s the big deal? They said Tamra put the word train out there, and Tamra says Vicki claimed she had more info, and she asked if it was about the train. So she put it out there? (Well, yeah. That’s what Shannon just said.) Shannon says she could argue that Tamra is mad because she’s hurt, but it’s bullsh*t. She doesn’t understand why, when someone isn’t there, they’re bashed. She doesn’t believe they were bashing Kelly at Vicki’s birthday party though. They were just saying stuff; it was different. Omg. Do these women ever hear themselves? So is Tamra telling her that she said none of those things? Tamra says, not that she recalls. In Shannon’s interview, she says, Tamra brought up the train and told her about the barfight. It would be so much simpler if someone would just say they make mistakes, and they made one here. Own your stuff. Shannon says, she had dinner with the other women, and the consensus was that if there’s drama, Tamra behind it. But after her conversation with her best friend, she thinks others might be behind it. In Tamra’s interview, she says she doesn’t necessarily believe Shannon, but she has a deeper friendship with Shannon than she does with Kelly. She thinks it’s Kelly, and she’s done with her. She tells Shannon, for Kelly to say those things is bullsh*t. She’s playing a dangerous game. Ooh, I’d be scared if I was Kelly. Not really.

Next time, making a video, Braunwyn invites the women to Miami, Gina tells Emily that Matt is upset about her dating, and Kelly is removing herself from the drama.
