What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Geneva, Switzerland. Laura is on her tablet, when Doc asks if she’s ready for a break. They have those dinner reservations. She says, in just a minute. She’s almost done. Doc says, of course (🍷). Even in Europe, the Mayor of Port Charles can’t stop working. How are things stateside? She says, this is not work, and he says, right. Nikolas. She says, exactly. She’s narrowing down where to travel next to continue the search. He says, yesterday, they found out Nikolas is alive, and there couldn’t have been better news, but it also made something else crystal clear. Her son doesn’t want to be found.

Valentin lets Martin into his new house, and Martin says, wow. Now that this place is fully furnished, he’s impressed. Valentin thanks him, and Martin says he’s sure Valentin didn’t call him over to compliment his decorating. Valentin says, this isn’t a social call, and Martin says, the meter is running. What’s on his mind? Valentin says, first he wants to know whatever he tells Martin is covered by attorney/client privilege, and Martin says, of course (🍷). It always is. Valentin says, even if it’s about somebody else? and Martin says, it depends on who he’s referring to. Valentin says, it’s his daughter. Charlotte’s future depends on their conversation today.

At the Bistro, Anna’s phone rings, and she says, good morning, Sonny. He asks, how’s the security team he gave her? and she says she has no complaints. The guard is outside doing an excellent job of seeming unobtrusive. He says, that’s exactly what he wanted the guard to do for her, and she thanks him for the extra layer of protection. She knows she was highly resistant initially, but she finds it’s making her feel better. He says, that was the plan. He knows she doesn’t like to ask for help. He doesn’t like to ask for help, but he’s got her back. Call him if she needs anything. She says she bets she’s not the only person he’s looking out for, and he says, she’s right about that. There’s one person in particular.

In her cell room, Sasha says she can do this. She’s going to be okay. A nurse comes in, and says, according to Sasha’s chart, she was unfocused when she was readmitted yesterday. So as a reminder, she won’t be able to leave her room without permission, and at least for the time being, she won’t be allowed any visitors. Sasha says, okay, but what about her doctors? and the nurse says, she’ll still continue to receive the absolute best care here, but if she wants to leave Ferncliff, she’s going to have to do her part. Sasha says she plans to do just that.

On the phone and packing again, Gladys asks if there’s going to be a car to pick her up in San Jose… There’s no check-out date; it’s an open-ended stay at the hotel… Okay. Perfect. She looks at the coat in her hands, and says she bought it for when they’d be in New York. There are no cold days in Central America. There’s a knock at the door, but she continues packing. The knob begins to rattle, and Sam walks in. Gladys asks what Sam thinks she’s doing, breaking into her home, and Sam says she guesses Gladys didn’t hear her knocking. Or did she?

Laura tells Doc, Nikolas is her son, and she go to the end of the earth to save him, just like she would for Lucky and Lulu. He says he’s not questioning her commitment as a mother, but they have to face facts. Nikolas has been taking money out of his accounts; they know that. She asks what his point is, and he says, it proves he doesn’t want any contact with her. He hasn’t contacted Spencer or even Esme about his new baby son Ace. He’s sending every possible signal that he doesn’t want to interact with his family. She says she thinks if her son was in his right mind, he wouldn’t be doing that. She doesn’t want to abandon him in his hour of need. He says he mostly agrees with her. Personally, he feels Nikolas could and would benefit from her guidance right now, but there are extenuating circumstances. When he imprisoned Esme, he knew that he was breaking the law. So her son is running away from potential criminal charges and his responsibilities as a father. If a newborn son isn’t enough to bring him home, what could she possibly have to offer? She says, what more could she possibly offer her son? How about redemption?

Sasha dreams about Dr. Montague giving her an injection, and wakes with a start. At the desk, Janice says she wishes there were another way for Montague to help Sasha, and he says, so does he, but his relationship with Miss Gilmore has been compromised. She says, he means because of Cody Bell attacking him and kidnapping Sasha? and he says, yes. As a result of that, Sasha was left with a conflation of traumatic events. She can’t even see him without recalling the abduction. He doesn’t know if that’s because of the drugs or her brain is confused. She thinks Cody Bell was trying to rescue her, and he’s the bad guy. Janice says, anyone who knows him knows that can’t possibly be true. Sasha’s truly delusional. He says, which leaves him no choice but to remove himself from her case. He hands Janice some paperwork, and she thanks him. He says he was only working at Ferncliff to take care of Sasha. Now that’s no longer the case, she won’t be seeing him here again. She says, he’ll definitely be missed, and he thanks her. He says he’s sure she’ll be seeing him around town again, and leaves.

Gladys says she knows her front door was locked, and Sam isn’t even trying to hide her little lock pick tool. Breaking and entering is a serious crime. She should call the cops on Sam. Sam says she thinks calling the cops is a great idea. Call away. Gladys says, oh right. She forgot. Sam is shacked up with Detective Falconari. Of course (🍷) he’s going to take Sam’s word over hers. Sam says, they don’t have to involve Dante in this. Call anyone at the PCPD. Although she thinks calling the cops might delay Gladys’s trip a little bit. Where is it Gladys said she was going? Gladys tells Sam that she didn’t say, and she’s not going to. Sam isn’t welcome in her home. Sam laughs and says, Gladys’s home. Last time she checked, this was Sasha’s apartment. Gladys says, Sasha’s not well. She’s not here. Sam can just beat it. Sam says, that’s interesting, considering Gladys’s daughter-in-law is not well and she’s still going on a trip. How does she think Brando would feel about that? Gladys says she doesn’t have to take this from Sam, and Sam says, that’s fine. She sits down and says, but she’s not going anywhere. Not until Gladys exonerates Sasha.

Doc says, Nikolas is Laura’s son, and he knows she’ll never give up on him, so hear that first please. But also hear him when he says, at the end of the day, redemption is the last thing Nikolas wants. She says she wouldn’t disagree with him there at all, but what we want and what we need are two very different things. He says, she couldn’t be more right. Most people can’t reconcile or admit that this is what I need in my life. Believe him. Nikolas is fortunate to have her on his side. She says she knows right now it appears Nikolas is just running from his problems. Her brain knows he committed a crime and can’t face up to it, but her heart loves him exactly the same. So she’s going to love and support him until he gets his damn head on straight. He says, of course (🍷) she is, because that’s who she is, and he hopes that happens. But he also knows that’s not going to happen until Nikolas is willing to put aside his immediate desires and focus on his responsibilities and the needs of his children. She looks away, and he says, too harsh? but she says, too accurate. She knows Spencer is suffering from the absence of his father and Ace will too eventually, but that’s why she needs to find him. She needs to shake some sense into him. (I’d like to see that.) He says, Nikolas has the money and resources to stay hidden a long time, and it breaks his heart to see her chasing after someone who doesn’t value the love and attention she’s willing to shower on him. She says, okay. She hears him. She’s not giving up her search.

Jordan meets Anna at the Bistro, and Anna asks if everything is all right. Jordan says, it’s fine. She’s just juggling a lot at the same time. What else is new? By the way, she noticed a man lingering outside. She knows most people wouldn’t take a second glance at him, but her cop instincts are shouting at her pretty loudly that he’s no random innocent. Anna says, would that be the super serious guy, kind of tall, definitely not smiling, very focused? Jordan says, that would be the man she’s referring to, and Anna says, that would be her bodyguard. Jordan asks when Anna started hiring bodyguards, and Anna says she didn’t. He’s on Sonny’s payroll, part of his security  team, which she thinks is pretty generous. Jordan says, it’s kind of a big deal. When did the most self-reliant spy decide she needs outside protection? And not from the WSB, but from Sonny of all people? Anna says, desperate times call for desperate measures, and Jordan says, meaning? Anna says, meaning someone is trying to dismantle her life and drive her insane.

Valentin says, before he gets into the issues with his daughter, he wants Martin to know he take full responsibility. Charlotte’s mother has been in a coma these last few years, and he’s allowed her to be raised by her stepfather and grandmother lately, and he thinks maybe she’s lost her way. Martin asks if Valentin is speaking to him as his lawyer or his friend, and Valentin says, both. Martin says, hit him with some facts, and Valentin says, a couple of nights ago, Charlotte claimed she was hanging with Jake Webber at Kelly’s, like a couple of typical teenagers. Martin says, and he learned otherwise? and Valentin says, Nina showed him some security footage from the MetroCourt Hotel that night. Martin says, and he saw Charlotte doing what exactly? and Valentin says he watched Charlotte letting herself in to Anna’s hotel suite. The same suite that was later found ransacked, Anna’s clothes covered in ink, a cryptic message written on the bathroom mirror. Martin says, and Valentin’s worried she’s fallen in with the wrong crowd, that she might have witnessed what happened in that hotel room? Valentin says he thinks she’s the perpetrator, and Martin says, okay. If that is the case, she’s definitely troubled about something and it appears to be some kind of growing pain, but even so, he doesn’t think there’s a court in the country that will think of that as anything but a cry for help. Even with the state of the room, the clothes, and the message on the mirror, it’s just the folly of misspent youth. Valentin says, Martin may be right, but he thinks she’d face a stiffer sentence if the court knew she set fire to Anna’s house.

Sasha looks out her door window and tries the door, but it’s locked. She says, dammit. She doesn’t know how much longer she can do this.

Gladys tells Sam that she wishes she could help Sasha. What’s happened to her is absolutely tragic. She lost her son and husband within months of each other. But why does everyone forget Gladys lost her grandson and then her son, her only child? Her heart breaks for Sasha, but it also breaks for herself. Sam says she’s sorry. She knows losing Liam and then Brando was horrible for both Gladys and Sasha. Gladys thanks her for at least acknowledging that, and Sam tells her, focus on helping Sasha. Gladys says, face it. Sasha’s situation only got worse after Cody Bell abducted her. She completely lost touch with reality. It was not her decision to send Sasha back to Ferncliff. The police and Sasha’s doctors made that choice. There’s nothing else she could do for Sasha. Sam asks what she’s talking about. Gladys totally took advantage of Sasha’s situation. How does she think her son would feel about that? How does Gladys think her son would feel, knowing she stole from Sasha? Not to mention, Gladys undermined Sasha’s sobriety and her sanity. Gladys says she doesn’t have to listen to Sam’s garbage. Get out. She opens the door, and Sonny is standing there. I laaaugh.

Laura says she carries around a lot of guilt about Nikolas and his childhood, and Doc says he’s aware. Let him remind her that she was a prisoner on Cassadine Island, and when she saw her chance to escape, she took it. She says, yes, but without her son, and he says, she saved herself. She says, yes, she saved herself and she abandoned her son at the same time. She left him. She left him to be raised by the Cassadines. So she’s every bit as much to blame for how he turned out as the Cassadines are. He says, Nikolas is an adult. He’s a man who has responsibilities. Sooner or later, he’s going to have to stop blaming his childhood for the mistakes that he’s made as a grown man. She says, thanks. That was a really nice try, but he knows better than anyone we’re a product of our childhood. Thank God Stephan was there, because Stavros and the rest of the Cassadines could never possibly be any kind of a role model for him. But they were there. They were manipulating him and forming his point of view about the world in which he lived. His tendency to get angry so quickly and make these rash, crazy decisions. She doesn’t think he was born like that. She thinks he was taught that. Doc says, he’s never even met his new son, and as much as they both know he loves Spencer, Nikolas has abandoned him. Again. What does that say about Nikolas? She says she thinks it says he believes his children would be better off without him, which she knows is not the case. Because despite all his flaws, deep down inside there is a very good man with a good heart, and she just has to believe those good qualities will triumph over this darkness that he’s going through right now, and he’ll make his way back to her and his kids. She just thinks he needs to be reminded that he has the ability to do that. Doc says, if anyone can get someone to listen to their inner angel, it’s her. So where does she want to look next? She says, London.

Martin says he understands how upset Valentin must have been seeing actual evidence that his teenage daughter broke into a hotel room. He gets Anna isn’t some random person. Valentin loves her, and if Charlotte has a problem with that, that’s trouble. But breaking and entering, even vandalism, is a hell of a long way from arson. Valentin says he has every faith in his daughter’s intelligence and capability. She was at camp that night, less than an hour from Port Charles. She could have taken a Ride Share. She’s familiar with Anna’s house. That fire was intentionally set while he and Anna were away. Martin says he refuses to believe Charlotte would intentionally hurt Anna, but Valentin says, not physically. She wanted to take away Anna’s home. Martin says, for what purpose? and Valentin says, she wanted Anna scared; she wanted Anna insecure. Martin says, wait a minute. If he remembers correctly, didn’t Anna says she thought a professional had done it? Valentin says, she assumed it was the WSB, and Martin says, Anna’s no fool. She’s been around the block a couple of times. She knows what she’s talking about. How on earth would a teenage girl know how to set a fire that looks like a professional did it? Valentin says, the internet. It’s a dark place. If you look for something hard enough, you’ll find it. (Preach!) He’s almost certain his daughter is responsible for Anna’s house fire, and he wants Martin’s help protecting her from herself.

Anna tells Jordan, even though the PCPD haven’t determined whether she or Sonny were the target for the shooting at the MetroCourt pool, she believes that the bullet that ricocheted and hit Curtis was meant for Sonny, not her. Jordan asks, what makes her so sure? and Anna says, the fire at her house, the writing on her mirror. Those things were aimed specifically at her. That’s where she was living; it was personal. Whereas the shooting at the pool was a public attack. Those are two totally different psychological profiles. Two distinct and conflicting motives if you look at it. Jordan says, okay, but the rifle that was recovered in Curtis’s shooting was previously in WSB custody. Anna has way more connections to the WSB than Sonny. Anna says, yes, and they were standing next to each other. So on the surface, that does make the issue murkier. Jordan tells her, let’s just say the shooter was after Sonny. Then who burned down Anna’s house and vandalized her suite at the MetroCourt? Anna says she doesn’t know, but whoever they are, they do seem to know what they’re doing.

The nurse goes back into Sasha’s room, and says, time for her morning meds, but Sasha says, no. Absolutely not. Those pills are what got her in trouble in the first place. The nurse asks if Sasha didn’t tell her that she wanted to work hard to get out of this place, and Sasha says, of course (🍷). That’s her goal. The nurse says, then Sasha agrees with her. If she really wants to get out, she’s going to have to play by the rules. Sasha says she tried that. It almost killed her.

Gladys says, it’s really not a good time, closing the door, but Sonny stops it with his hand and walks in. He says he’s sorry to hear that, because in his book, there’s always time for family. He didn’t expect to see Sam here. Sam says, congratulations on having the most impeccable timing ever. She hasn’t been able to get through to Gladys. Maybe he can do better. Sonny asks Gladys, what’s the problem?

On the phone, Doc says, excellent. Thank you. He tells Laura, all right, they’re set. Two tickets to London. She says, great, and thanks him. She takes his hands and thanks him for being by her side through this whole thing. At any point, he could have said, it’s time to quit. He has to go back to Port Charles and resume his life. But he didn’t, so she thanks him for putting his life on hold to see her through this. He says he’s arranged for his patients to see other therapists, and the hospital can always reach him in an emergency. He knows how important her children are to her. With Lucky living abroad, and Lulu… It’s no wonder Nikolas has taken center stage, and if he hasn’t said it already, there’s nothing he wouldn’t do for her. She says she loves him with all her heart, and they kiss. He says he loves her. Now let him finish packing. He goes in the other room, and she calls Jordan. She says she thought she’d check in with her Deputy Mayor. Tell her. How are things going in Port Charles?

Sam asks if Gladys wants to tell Sonny what’s going on or should she? and Gladys says she’s happy to explain what’s going on. Sam here showed up at her door and then picked her lock and broke into her home. Can he believe that? He says, Sam didn’t knock? and Sam says, of course (🍷) she knocked, but Gladys didn’t answer so she had no choice but to pick the lock. Gladys says, some people understand if you don’t answer the door, you’re not in the mood for company, and Sam says, either that, or they don’t want their escape plan interrupted. Gladys asks if Sonny hears that. Not only does Sam pick her lock to break into her home, Sam’s throwing around wild accusations about her. And it’s all because she’s cuddled up to that thief Cody Bell. Sam says, the charges against Cody were dropped, but Gladys says, that doesn’t mean he’s not guilty. It just so happens Selina Wu allegedly found some… Sam says, really, Gladys? Selina Wu and Cody Bell? Is that really the road she wants to go down, because Sam doesn’t think that’s going to end well for her. Gladys says, the way she’s defending that two-bit thief Cody Bell, it makes you wonder, doesn’t it? Why? The obvious reason is that she’s stepping out on Sonny’s son Dante to have an affair with Cody. Gladys is just trying to protect his son because they’re family, and she knows that’s what Mike would want. He just has to ask himself, why is Sam so desperate to help Cody Bell? If she’s not sleeping with him, what possible reason could there be? Cody was a virtual stranger to Sam when he came to town, and now she’ll do anything to help him, even jeopardize poor Sasha’s sanity. Sonny says he and Sam have known each other for a long time, and asks Sam, is anything Gladys is saying the truth, and does Cody have anything to do with hurting Sasha?

Montague calls Janice at Ferncliff, and says he’s so sorry to trouble her with this, but he just pulled into his driveway at home and realized he left a file at Ferncliff. She says, no trouble at all. She’d be happy to check on the file for him. Does he remember where he thinks he left it? He says he thinks it’s in the doctor’s lounge. It’s one of his patient’s files from General Hospital, so it should be easily recognizable. Is it too much trouble to ask her to check for him? She says, no trouble at all. She’ll check and call him back whether she finds it or not. He thanks her and says, she’s the best. She leaves the desk, and Montague walks in.

Martin says he knows how much Valentin loves and adores his daughter. He witnessed first hand what Valentin is willing to sacrifice to be the father she needs. Is Valentin telling him that he believes his daughter is capable of burning Anna’s house to the ground? Who else has he told this little theory? Valentin says, Nina. She’s the only other one. They watched the footage and saw Charlotte break into Anna’s hotel room. Martin says, so what? There’s video evidence that Valentin’s daughter may have committed a crime. Valentin says, there was evidence. Nina removed it from the server; it doesn’t exist anymore. Martin says he’s going to ask Valentin a couple of questions, but he’s not judging him or Charlotte. He just wants to make sure he gives Valentin the best help possible. Valentin says he appreciates that, and Martin says, Valentin told him that Nina’s the only other person who knows this happened. He assumes Valentin hasn’t said anything to Anna yet. Valentin says he loves Anna, but Charlotte has to be his primary focus, and Martin says, good. Does he have any idea what this would do to his relationship? Valentin says he doesn’t know and he’s not ready to tell her, and Martin asks, where’s Charlotte now? Valentin says, in school. Other than that, he hasn’t let her out of his sight until the room was broken into. Martin says, as Valentin’s attorney, he’ll be of service any way he can, but he’s not sure what Valentin is asking him to do. Valentin says he needs Martin to be ready to defend his daughter in the event of an arson charge if it comes to that. Hopefully, this can be avoided, and it all goes away, and he can get her the psychological help she needs. He’s asking Martin to cover contingencies. Martin says, okay, picking up his briefcase. He’ll start brushing up on crimes committed as a juvenile. On a personal note, as Valentin’s friend, he can’t tell Valentin how sorry he is that he has to go through something like this with Charlotte. Valentin thanks Martin, and says he appreciates that. He was so obsessed with his sociopath of a father, he didn’t pay enough attention to Charlotte and what she was capable of. It’s a lonely place, but he wants to do what he has to do to help her. Martin leaves.

Laura says she’ll let Jordan know as soon as she’s back in Port Charles. She thanks Jordan again for stepping up and taking care of everything while she’s out of town. Doc comes back and says, yes, he went to the business center and printed out their boarding passes. Yes, it makes him a bit old school, and yes, a little old-fashioned, but he doesn’t care. She laughs and says she wouldn’t call it old-fashioned. She’d say, practical. He asks if she has any idea where she wants to start looking in London, and she says she does. He says he knows she’s disappointed they haven’t found Nikolas yet, but maybe they’ll have better luck there. She says she hopes so, when her phone rings. She asks if they have time for her to take this call; it’s Valentin. He looks at his watch and says, yeah. They’re ahead of schedule. See what he wants. She answers, and Valentin says, any sign of Nikolas? She says, yes and no. They’re in Geneva actually, and were just on their way to the airport. They’re going to fly to London next. Valentin asks if she thinks Nikolas is in London, and she says she’s not sure, but she did find proof Nikolas is alive. He says, that’s great. It’s got to give her hope, huh? She says, yes. There must be a reason he called. He tells her, she says she’s flying to London. Any chance she’s stopping in Port Charles? She asks, why? Did something happen? Did Spencer do something? He says, no. Alexis hasn’t said anything about Spencer, and she says, good. What’s the problem? He says, it’s Charlotte, and she says, what about her? He says he thinks her granddaughter is in serious trouble.

Anna tells Jordan that she’s trying to figure out who’s out to get her, and she can’t rule out the fact that the WSB is at the top of that list. Jordan asks if Valentin is helping her out, and Anna says, he’s determined to protect her, but… Jordan says, but what? She doesn’t believe him? Anna says she believes he would never harm her, but he has his own past and ties to the WSB and other affiliated organizations with less than stellar reputations. Jordan says, which means… and Anna says, honestly, she doesn’t know what secrets Valentin is keeping, and she thinks it’s past time she found out what those secrets are.

Gladys asks if Sonny doesn’t see the pattern. The guy is a wannabe gold-digger. He targeted a wealthy doctor and the Chief of Staff at GH. When that didn’t work out, he moved on to Sasha. While she was struggling with mental health issues, he saw his next target, a rich, troubled widow. Cody took advantage of her grief. Sam tells Sonny, none of this is true. Cody is on Sasha’s side. Gladys says, no. Don’t believe her; she’s his accomplice. She has been in with Cody from the very beginning, but what else could you expect? She’s a grifter too. Sam asks Sonny to please tell her that he’s not buying what Gladys is shoveling, and Gladys says, Sonny’s her family. Of course (🍷) he’s going to believe her. She tells Sonny, all she’s tried to do since Brando died is take care of his widow, but then Cody started whispering in her ear. And eventually it became too much, and she snapped. She went back on whatever drugs she was taking and wound up stabbing Cody with a knife. You’d think that would make him back off, but no. Somehow, he got himself admitted to Ferncliff and that’s when he kidnapped her. And he got arrested, and poor Sasha made her way back here to the apartment. It was heartbreaking. She was disoriented and not making any sense at all, and it broke Gladys’s heart to have to call the police. Sonny says, what happened to Sasha was worse than a tragedy. It was downright criminal.

Sasha sits on the bed and does some deep breathing. She says, okay. That’s a little better. This isn’t going to last forever. You’re going to survive this. Montague walks in, and she says, no. She sees the syringe in his hand.

Laura asks, what happened? and Valentin says he can’t get into it on the phone for legal reasons. Laura says, my God, what is he saying? and he tells her that he’s saying he needs her help. And so does Charlotte, desperately. She says, then he’s got it. She’ll take the first flight to Port Charles. She’ll get there as soon as she possibly can.

Valentin is about to call Nina, when Anna walks in. She says, so this is where he’s been hiding out?

Sonny looks at the suitcases, and says, it looks like Gladys is headed somewhere. She says, with everything going on with Sasha, her own nerves were shot, and she needed a break. She’s taking a little vacation. Sonny says, that’s a lot of luggage for a little vacation. Where is she going? She stammers and says, just some quiet spot. Take a beat and calm down. Sam says, that is not true; she’s clearly running away. Sonny asks what Gladys is running away from, and Sam says, she’s trying to get out of town before the truth about Sasha comes out. Gladys says, Sam is partially correct, but she’s always got to put a negative spin on things. She tells Sonny that she’s leaving town, but it’s only because she can’t bear to stay here and see the disaster Sasha’s life has turned into. Sonny says, she’s Sasha’s legal guardian; she’s obligated to stick around. Gladys says, not while she’s in Ferncliff. She can’t do anything for Sasha while she’s in there. That’s why she thought this was the perfect time for her to go somewhere and get her own head on straight. Sonny says, that sounds perfectly reasonable to him, and Sam says, tell her that he’s not buying this BS. He wonders if he can ask Gladys one question. How is she going to pay for this trip? Because he already knows she stole Sasha’s money to pay back her gambling debt to Selina Wu. Gladys begins to stammer, that’s not what… Sonny says, shut up. He’s done with her lies. And he’s going to make sure she doesn’t lie again.

Sasha tells Montague, stay away from her, but he says, she’s confused. He can see the agitation in her face. This medication will help her calm down. He holds up the syringe, and she screams for somebody to help her. Dr. Montague is trying to inject her with something. He says, no one can hear her. And no one is coming to save her. Sasha leaps over the bed and throws a pillow at Montague. Heading for the door, she throws a chair, but misses him by a mile. She pulls at the doorknob, screaming, and he grabs her, throwing her on the bed. As he’s about to inject her, the door opens.

Tomorrow, Anna asks why Valentin would keep this secret; Gregory asks if Alexis wants to help him knock another one off the list; Sonny says he knows exactly what Gladys did and now she’s going to pay for it; and Montague says, he’s getting out of here, and taking Sasha with him.

Below Deck Mediterranean

Italian Riviera. Captain Sandy finds out she can’t get new crew members for weeks, and she says, unbelievable. It’s f***ing crazy. This has never happened to her, but she guesses she’ll figure something out. Natalya takes breakfast orders, and Lara deals with the tender. In Lara’s interview, she says, Luka is beautiful and has the greatest qualities. He’s God’s gift. The water is too rough for the jet skis, and guest Cameron says he feels sad and wants to leave the boat. Breakfast is served, and Primary Kian says, the chef is apparently mortal. He’s talented, but can’t cook eggs for crap. Maybe he needs a picture guide. The captain tells Luka, this will pass, but maybe the guests should go ashore. Natalya tells Jack about the egg complaints, and in Jack’s interview, he says he hates eggs; they’re overrated. Now he’s got to redeem himself. Natalya tells him, Americans invent new egg styles every day. I dunno about that, but personally, I think eggs are God’s perfect food. Kian talks to Captain Sandy about being bummed and that some of the guests are throwing up from the boat rocking. She suggests the guests go to shore, and in her interview, the captain says, these are friends, and she feels bad. They’re down team members, but they have to find a way to make the charter good or she may have to find a new doctor. In Natalya’s interview, she says she and her boyfriend have been together four months and they’re in an open relationship. She’s always been with guys who cheated, so she’s glad to be honest from start, but she loved him before this style of relationship was mentioned. She’s half okay with it. Looking is fine; touching is a no go. Captain Sandy tells Luka to take the guests to shore, and as they’re about to get in the tender, guest Nathan asks Luka if they have in case one of them vomits. Luka says, do it overboard, and in his interview, he says, it’s not an airplane. They don’t get a bag. You have to chuck in the sea. As they get in the tender, Captain Sandy says, they’ll feel better on shore. Immediately one of them (probably Cameron) throws up over the side of the boat. In Luka’s interview, he says, the tender moves more than the yacht. It’s going to be ten minutes of torture before getting to shore.

Portofino. In his interview, Luka says, Portofino is a rare place. If the guests are lucky, they’ll see dolphins. He hopes they don’t puke on them. In Natalya’s interview, she says, it’s going to be difficult to step down when the new person comes in. Even though she’s been sh*tting herself on this charter, it’s a great opportunity to show the captain that she’s an amazing chief strew. She reminds Jack that the guests want a Michelin Star meal, and says, afterward, they’ll be doing an EDM party on the sundeck. The guests stroll through town, do some shopping, and go sightseeing. They go to an old-world church that’s just gorgeous. Norma texts Captain Sandy that she still doesn’t have a bosun, but has an experienced deckhand. In Jessika’s interview, she says she thinks Natalya is stressed about the new chief stew coming, but maybe it’s a good idea. She’s hoping they have a better way to delegate, so all the work is equally divided. The guests come back, and the wind has died down, so the water toys are put out. There’s a new davit (a crane used on ships) for the slide, so they’re able to put it out much more easily. Most of the guests get on the inflatable banana, while Luka drives the tender, pulling them. In Captain Sandy’s interview, she says, the day turned out spectacularly. She’s impressed at how quickly they got the slide out, and the clients are having fun. Jack goes over dinner with Natalya, and in Jack’s interview, he says he worked in a Michelin Star restaurant, but he wasn’t ready. It’s an emotional position. Dinner is going to have Italian and Asian influence. It’s like a biography on a plate. A line is caught in the propeller under the tender, and Lara radios Haleigh to keep watch while she swims underneath it. She needs someone to know she’s there. She finds out that it’s wrapped around the propellor, and in Lara’s interview, she says, if a line gets caught in the propellor, you can’t maneuver the boat. It’s very dangerous.

Lara gets the line off, and in her interview, she says, f*** yes. She handled it like a boss. The guests go down the slide, and take photos. Natalya gets the party stuff out, and the slide is brought back up, which doesn’t look quite as easy as putting it out. Natalya tells Kian, there’s going to be a fiesta, and tells the stews, they’ll all wear wigs and stuff. Lara says she loves Luka; he’s never screaming at anyone. Real chief stew Tumi texts Captain Sandy and says, she and Kyle got their visas, and are on the way. In Jack’s interview, he says, the side effect of being a wizard. You know so much good stuff, you forget some of it. But he trusts Natalya to help. Luka tells Captain Sandy that the guests are loving it, and she tells him that Ruan isn’t coming back, and she can’t get a bosun. She asks if he’d like to be the full time bosun, and he says he’d love to. She says, by the next charter, he’ll have a new deckhand, and in Luka’s interview, he says, he thought Ruan would take his position back. He hasn’t even docked yet. In Captain Sandy’s interview, she says she’s confident in Luka. Captain Jason highly recommended him, and he’s smart, quick, and knows his stuff. He does everything without resistance, and it was all those little moments that made her say, he’s a leader. Luka tells Haleigh about becoming bosun, and she calls him, Daddy Bosun. He likes it. I hope they give him the stripes to go with it. The guests are happy with dinner, and guest Tito says, if he could stand, he’d give the food a standing ovation. Natalya asks Haleigh to help with the party, and Haleigh says she doesn’t know how decorate well. The captain hears, and says, teamwork makes the dream work. I’d pay money never to hear that saying again. In Haleigh’s interview, she says, she’s never decorated for a party. She went to a rave once, and knows it’s beads, neon lights, and Ecstasy. She’s had one of the three. The food keeps coming, and food porn! Food porn! Brooke does housekeeping, while Haleigh wanders around with decorations. She tells Natalya that she’s trying. Natalya wonders where Brooke is, and Brooke finally shows up, ten minutes late for decorating. Oh, the horror. In Natalya’s interview, she says she’s used to working late nights. She runs on coffee. Her blood is coffee. This bitch going to have to pull it off.

Natalya asks Jessika to lead service, and in Jessika’s interview, she says, Natalya is chief stew; she should lead. She’s a raver, and it’s too much pressure to lead. Don’t do that to her. Natalya tells Jessika that the sundeck’s not set up, and she needs to lead service. Jessika radios the crew that she needs help. She needs hands for clearing. Natalya says, it can’t be an extravaganza if there’s nothing. Tito is served the wrong wine, and in her interview, Jessika says, please, Natalya, come back. Luka says she’s got this, and Kian says he doesn’t know how the chef is doing it all by himself. Natalya says, this is crackhead energy, and puts on a blue wig. She tells the crew, it’s crazy, but they’re doing it. Shots on her tomorrow. Literally on her. Luka says, tomorrow is going to be great. One of the guests says, the chef put heart and soul in this food, and in Jessika’s interview, she says, this sh*t is scary, but if they’re happy, she’s happy. Kian says, it’s time to party, and they go up to the sundeck, bathed in a black light, and decorated with glowing everything. Shots are poured, and Natalya says, there are little ships and big ships, but there’s no ship like friendship. Zzzz… In her interview, she says she’s solid being the chief stew. When the new one gets here, fingers crossed they have a dream team. We flash back to her and Kyle bickering last season, and she says she’s just taking it day by day. The guests dance, drink, and finally crash at 2:58 am. Cameron has fallen sleep in one of the lounges, and Natalya covers him with a blanket. She talks to her boyfriend, and says, if the chief stew is a f***ing nightmare, she’s off. She asks if he’s had sex with anyone, and he says, she’s got to stop asking that question.

Final day of charter. Natalya keeps telling herself to wake up. She tells Jack that they nailed it, and in Jack’s interview, he says, over easy, over medium; potato, potahto. He’s making quiche. A monkey with no eyes can make quiche. I’d love to see that. Breakfast is served, and Tito asks if they have more French donuts – what you call croissants. They try to haul anchor, but Lara says, a brick is attached to the anchor. More specifically, it’s a cinder block. She says, WTF? Captain Sandy wonders if there’s a body attached to it.

Luka says he’ll have to jump down and cut it off. He gets a knife from Jack, and in Jack’s interview, he says, butter knife, steak knife… there it is. A brick knife. Luka is successful, and in the captain’s interview, she says, so far, the deck team is a pleasant surprise. Her ETA to the pilot station is one hour, and the guests all thank Kian. One of them asks, when’s the next one? In Lara’s interview, she says, if they still had Ruan, it would have been a different deck crew. Luka makes her wish she was straight. They dock, and in Luka’s interview, he says, it’s the first time he’s docked, and he wants to make sure Captain Sandy knows he’s calm, and not the dude going, we hit the f***ing dock. The docking is a success, and he says he’s sure he’ll have grey hairs by the end of the season. He tells the captain that the girls are smashing it, and she radios the crew to meet on the dock. As the guests leave, there are lots of hugs, and they want to take Jack with him. Kian says, the crew was incredible, and Captain Sandy is the coolest captain ever. He wants to recognize Jack’s skills as a chef, and thanks Natalya for treating them special. The envelope doesn’t look fat, but the jury’s out. The crew gets in their reds and the captain radios them to come for the tip meeting. The captain says, the first charter wasn’t what she expected. Unfortunately, Ruan didn’t have the correct paperwork. She’s been paying attention, and there have been crews she’s had to correct, but this time she didn’t have to. Luka is now their bosun, and she’s happy there are women on deck. They dug in and worked as a team. She tells Jack that he set bar, and now he can’t go below it; and thanks Natalya for stepping up, and now stepping back. In her interview, Natalya says, they were being thrown into it, and they were successful. They smashed out of the ball cart [sic]. The tip is a surprising $20K (I guess it was big bills), or $1818 each. They clink glasses, and the boat is turned over.

Natalya asks Luka for some shampoo while only wearing a towel, and in his interview, he says, she’s in interior; she knows where the shampoo is. The one thing that gets him in trouble on yachts is the ladies. We flash back to Down Under, and he says, Natalya is definitely potential trouble. Lara tells Haleigh that South Africa isn’t very open, but her family is fine with her sexuality now. In her interview, she says, it was when she was in covid quarantine that she realized she likes women and does not like men. When she came out, she felt comfortable, like she had wings. When she goes home, she feels the need to hide herself a bit. Her parents love her, but it’s like stepping on eggshells now. The crew goes ashore and takes a taxi van to a restaurant. Lara tells Natalya that she loves a girly girl, and Natalya says she’s not sitting in the backseat on the way home. As they walk to the restaurant, Lara literally picks up Natalya and carries her. When the drinks come, Natalya says, they couldn’t get a better first charter. After dinner, they move on to another bar. Luka asks Natalya if she has any tattoos, and she says, a secret one. She tells him that she’s in an open relationship, but she doesn’t know what that means. In her interview, she says she has lust for Luka, but she loves her boyfriend.

They dance and drink and fall down. Haleigh flashes whoever’s in the vicinity, and in Natalya’s interview, she says, Haleigh is a surprising person. She seems so shy, then she flashes everyone. Interesting. They go back to the boat and surprisingly, go to bed. And everyone’s in their own bed. Natalya texts her boyfriend, who asks if there were any hot guys. She says, actually, yes, and tells him, goodnight. In the morning, she says she feels like a walking bottle of alcohol. She tells the stews that they’d best make the boat perfect before the chief stew comes. Captain Sandy calls Tumi and says she can’t wait to meet in person. Luka is excited about having two extra hands. Brooke says goodbye to the captain, who says, she’s amazing. She wishes Brooke could stay, but she needs a stew with more experience. She has nothing but praise for Brooke. In Brooke’s interview, she says thinks yachting is the career path for her. Stews do hard-ass work. She gives them credit. Tumi arrives, and in Natalya’s interview, she says, it was a successful first charter as chief stew. And the way she’s set up the yacht is close to perfect.

In Tumi’s interview, she says she’s been ready since last season, and we flash back to Down Under again. She says she’s always wanted to work on the Mediterranean. Captain Sandy says, they’ve missed her, and Tumi says, Kyle is coming later. The captain says she’s heard great things about Tumi. She trusts Captain Jason. In her interview, Captain Sandy says she’s committed to Tumi. Being hung up in immigration wasn’t her fault. She was highly recommended by Jason. He said she was ready to be chief stew. She’s focused, determined, works hard, and she cares. She tells Tumi that Natalya bailed them out. She’s a team player, and the captain thinks Tumi will like the team. She shows Tumi her cabin, and Tumi meets the crew. In her interview, Tumi says, she’s worried about walking onto a new boat; there’s always self-doubt. She guesses it’s that way when you’re when passionate about something and don’t want to f*** it up. She’s been in the industry a long time and it scares her. She wants the crew’s respect and believes it’s important to set boundaries in the beginning. She met Kyle, who said he had his ups downs with Natalya. Tumi doesn’t want to be disrespected, but she doesn’t want to demand respect. That’s where her struggle comes in. Jack says, they need more testosterone to balance things out. Natalya shows Tumi around and points out where she likes to keep the sunblock stuff. Tumi says, that’s not where she’d prefer it. Natalya says they were two crew members down during the first charter, but they smashed it. The chef is amazing and chill. She asks what Tumi thinks of the boat, and Tumi says, it’s interesting. It reminds her of Harry Potter; the organization is a sh*tshow. Natalya asks if she means the boat itself or how she’s organized things, and Tumi says, the boat itself; the way it’s set up. She tells Natalya, don’t get defensive. Natalya’s part is impeccable, but it’s not the way she would want to come on a boat. Natalya continues to take it as an insult, and Tumi says, it’s just her opinion. The way it’s set up isn’t the way she would set it up. Natalya says, she thinks it’s great, and Tumi says she’s just giving her opinion. That’s it. Natalya says, don’t do this with her. Don’t put the hands up at me please.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Sonny walks into Kelly’s and goes to the counter where there are some orders waiting. He tries to steal a French fry, and Carly says, hey! He can’t do that. He puts it back (yuk!) and says, she’s no fun. She says she’s tons of fun, but if he wants French fries, he’s got to order them. He says, no, he wants information, and she says, about what? He says, her visit to Pentenville.

In her office, Portia looks at her wedding photo, when there’s a knock at the door. Ava says she comes bearing gifts, and brings in some take-out iced coffees. She says she hopes she’s not interrupting, but Portia says, anyone with caffeine and sugar is definitely not interrupting. She thanks Ava, taking a coffee, and asks, what brings her by? Ava says she was at the gallery earlier and saw Trina, and Portia says, it must be a good distraction for her. She’s so grateful Trina has an outlet. Ava says she’s so glad to have Trina back. Trina gave her an update on Curtis. That’s the reason she came by. She knows Portia has an awful lot to deal with and wants to know if there’s anything she can do.

Curtis pulls himself along the parallel bars, *PT guy Brent encouraging him. Curtis makes it to the end of the bars, and Brent helps him into his wheelchair. Curtis says he feels like he climbed Mt. Everest, and Brent says, maybe not, but he made incredible progress. He should be proud of himself. Curtis says he’ll be proud of himself when he gets out of here on his feet and goes home. Jordan stands in the doorway, and even though he’s still breathing heavily, Curtis says, let’s go again, but Brent says he thinks they should take a break. Curtis says, no way, and grabs the closest bar. Brent helps him back up.

🤷🏽‍♀️*Troy was Curtis’s PT guy, but for whatever reason, now it’s Brent. Or maybe there’s two PT guys. I can’t find any info on Brent at all.

Spencer tells Trina that he’s still going to be living with Esme and Ace at his grandmother’s place when she gets back. He honestly hasn’t given it much thought. She says, what kind of answer is that? and he says he doesn’t mean to be flippant about it, but there’s been a lot going on. He’s still trying to keep his brother safe from Esme, while he’s trying to be supportive of Trina. She says she gets that, and he says he never realized how much work taking care of a baby is. It’s a lot, so it’s been difficult for him to think about practical big picture things like where he’s going to be living as Ace gets older. She says she’s sorry. She shouldn’t have brought it up. He tells her not to apologize, and says she has every right to ask the question. He just wishes he could give her a simple, straightforward answer. She says, that’s the problem. There is no simple or straightforward answer.

At the Deception office, Lucy says, this is a disaster, and asks Maxie to just tell her how this could have happened. Maxie says, Lucy needs to calm down. She doesn’t have all the facts yet. Lucy says, they have enough to know Deception is under direct attack. Someone wants to bring them down with malicious intent. She refuses to let that happen. Gladys walks in and says, they have to talk. Maxie and Lucy both say, not now, but Gladys says, yes, now. She needs to sell Sasha’s Deception stock and she can’t. What the hell is going on?

Dante kisses Sam, and she says she’s not complaining, but what was that for? He says, just because. He was wondering, would she be down with doing him a favor? She says, he doesn’t have to kiss her to get a favor, and she says she knows that. He wasn’t kissing her to get a favor. They’re two separate things. He kisses her again, and asks if she’d mind checking on Cody at the Quartermaine’s. She says, sure, but Cody is his friend. Why doesn’t Dante check on him? Dante says, because he thinks if he checks on Cody, Cody is going to act crazier than he already is.

Cody shares a carrot with one of the horses and says, sorry, he just can’t do it. He can’t leave Sasha sitting there if she’s in trouble. He wouldn’t leave the horse with dangerous people. Not that he’s comparing Sasha to a horse, or the horse to Sasha. Although when he thinks about it, they do have some similarities. They’re both gorgeous. They’re both kind, sweet, and make people happy. Mac asks if Cody is in there, and Cody asks, what the hell do you want?

Dante says, remember when he told Sam that Gladys slapped Cody with a restraining order and he went nuts, threatening her in front of him and Mac? She says, yeah, but she wouldn’t blame anyone for having a problem with Gladys, and she doesn’t think Cody would ever hurt a woman. He says, exactly. When Cody was acting like he was going to kill Gladys, it was an act. She asks if Dante called him on it, and he says, yeah. He took Cody into the interrogation room, and he’s chucking around papers and kicking over chairs. He finally got Cody to admit that he just couldn’t get into Ferncliff to see Sasha. He’s trying to act crazy so he can get himself committed.

Brook comes into the office and asks, what’s the emergency? Maxie says, they need to prep a statement for social media pronto, and Gladys says, it can wait. She’s the one with the emergency. Maxie tells her, zip it, but Gladys says, not until they tell her what’s going on with Sasha’s stock. Why can’t she sell it? Lucy says, because Sasha is a co-owner of Deception. None of them can sell their stock because of the lawsuit. Brook asks what she’s talking about, and Maxie says, intellectual property theft. Someone’s claiming they stole the design for The Deceptor.

Mac says he was just seeing how Cody is doing, and Cody asks how Mac thinks he’s doing. He’s got two cops on his tail. Dante won’t stop texting him, and Mac’s here. They both keep waiting for him to commit a crime. Maybe he already did. Maybe he hit Gelhorn Jewelers and hid another bracelet around here. Go ahead and search. Or better yet, why doesn’t Mac go ahead and take him in. He holds out his wrists and says, arrest me, officer, making a weird face.

Portia says, it’s sweet of Ava to offer, and there is something Ava can do for her. Ava says, name it, and Portia says, Ava can tell her how Trina is really doing. Portia knows they have a special connection and she doesn’t want to pry, but she’d absolutely love Ava’s opinion. How’s Trina handling everything? Ava says she thinks under the circumstances, Trina’s doing remarkably well. But she has Spencer, and Ava knows he’s very supportive. He’s clearly helping her through this. Portia says, is he really? and Ava says, it’s hard to believe, is it? Portia says she knows Trina has feelings for Spencer, but it’s so much more complicated now with Esme and Ace coming as a package deal. And she’s worried it’s going to be too much for Trina to handle. Ava says, Spencer’s good for Trina; he makes her so happy. She lit up when he came into the gallery. Portia says, but where Spencer goes, trouble follows, and it’s the same with the whole family. Ava says, Portia doesn’t have to tell her about the Cassadine family, and they laugh. She thinks Portia should give Spencer a chance, for Trina’s sake.

Spencer tells Trina, one thing he wants to make certain of is that his little brother feels secure. He doesn’t want Ace to feel abandoned the way he did by his father. She says, but he’s not Ace’s father, and Spencer says he understands that. But while his father is God knows where, it’s kind of up to him to fill that void. He’s going to make sure his brother feels safe; he’s going to make sure his brother feels secure; and he’s going to make sure his brother feels loved, because he never had those things. He was the kid stuck all alone in a big house by himself. Sure, he had staff there to take care of him, but that’s no way to raise a child. His father was never there. Other kids had parents who tucked them into bed every night. He had Chandler. Trina asks, who’s that? and he says, Chandler was his chauffeur. Can she imagine that? He was eight years old, and his best friend in the world was the guy who was driving him around town in a limousine. They would pull up outside his school, and he would see the other kids getting out of minivans and their mothers kissing them on the cheek, and he wished with every fiber of his being that was him. All he ever really wanted was to be part of a real family. Trina says, that’s so sad, and he says, then his father pretended to be dead for three years. Who does that to their kid? His father abandoned him, and now he abandon’s Spencer’s little brother. She says she’s really sorry, and he says he just wishes he knew where his father was. A big part of him wants to believe he was forced out of Port Charles. Maybe that makes it easier to accept. She says, maybe he was. Spencer knows what Victor was capable of. Maybe he did something to Spencer’s dad. Spencer says, no. His father left them, but she says, he doesn’t know that. Why does Spencer always assume the worst of him? Spencer says, because it’s all his father has ever shown him.

Carly asks why Sonny wants to know about Pentenville, and he says, she was there to visit Drew. She says, how does he… Dex told him. He says, yep, and she says, okay. What does he want to know? He says, if she saw Gatlin-Holt, and if he was there with anyone.

Curtis introduces Jordan and Brent, and Brent asks if Jordan is Curtis’s sister. Curtis says, she’s his ex-wife, and Jordan says, it’s a pleasure to meet him. He says, same here, and they shake hands. She says she didn’t mean to interrupt, but Brent says he’s glad she did. He’s been trying to get this guy here to take a break. Jordan says, Brent must be good at his job. Curtis is making great progress. Brent says, Curtis makes him look good. It’s all about how hard their patients are willing to work. Curtis is incredibly motivated. Curtis does some bicep curls, and Brent says, Curtis may not be ready for a break, but he is. It’s nice to meet her. He leaves, and Jordan says, Curtis has really come along way with his physical therapy. He says, she came all the way down here to check on his progress? and she says, actually, no. She has some news. Someone burned down Anna’s house.

Portia says, if Spencer wasn’t making Trina happy, she’d step in, but she hates to admit Ava is right. For some reason, Trina is able to look past all the baggage that comes with Spencer. So the only thing she can really do is be there if Trina needs her. Ava says, Portia has enough to deal with. When is Curtis coming home? Portia says, it’s not really a when; it’s more of an if. At this point, she just doesn’t really know where they stand. Ava says she’s so sorry. She hopes she didn’t overstep. Portia says, no. Of course (🍷) she wants Curtis to come home as soon as he possibly can. She’s just not sure what Curtis really wants. Ava says, so she doesn’t know how much longer he’ll be in rehab? and Portia says, no. He’s dedicated to his physical therapy, but it’s about more than just his body healing. The last couple of times she visited him, it’s been tense, and he’s completely shut her out. She just feels like she’s walking on eggshells around him. If she compliments his progress, he sees that as pity. If she talks about anything else, it’s as if she’s avoiding the topic. Ava says she’s sorry. It must be very difficult. Portia says, it is. So she just tries to focus on the practical things in life, like getting the house ready. She’s just praying that Curtis comes home.

Trina says she doesn’t buy it, and Spencer says, excuse me? Trina says, about his dad. Spencer loves him. He knows there’s something good in there somewhere. She remembers hearing a few happy stories, like when he was scared to get on a horse for the first time. His dad put Spencer on his lap and said, there’s nothing to be scared of. And he stayed with Spencer on the horse for hours until the felt comfortable. He asks how she does that? Finds a way to talk him off of the ledge? She says, or a tree, and he says, she’s right. He does love his father, and what if something bad did happen to him?

Carly tells Sonny that she did see Gatlin-Holt. She doesn’t know who he was visiting. Why should Sonny care? Sonny says he doesn’t trust that guy and neither should she. He’s nothing but trouble. She says, that makes sense, and he asks what she means. She says, he’s seeing Ava. She’s a magnet for trouble.

Dante says he doesn’t know if he played it all entirely right with Cody, and Sam asks what he means. He says he shouldn’t have let Cody know that he knew what Cody was doing. He just denied it and said Dante was crazy, and either lock him up or cut him loose. She says, so he let Cody go, and he says he thinks putting Cody in prison was a worse idea. She asks what Mac’s take was on it, and he says, surprisingly, Mac said he knew where Cody was coming from. He guesses Mac had a similar situation with Cody’s mother Dominique, when she was in a mental facility and he broke in to get her out. Sam laughs and says, that still doesn’t make it a good plan. He says, Cody rarely has good plans. His concern is, this guy’s going to get himself in there, and he’s not going to be able to get out.

Cody says, Mac’s had it in for him from the beginning, so why don’t they just get it over with, and drag him down to the station. Mac says he’s concerned Cody thinks that way. It’s not true. He doesn’t think the worst of him. He knows Cody has a good heart. It just really threw him when he heard she was Dominique’s son. Cody says, why? He never really knew her. Mac says he wishes Cody had. She was a very special person. She was kind and warm and gentle. He always thought she was too trusting. Cody says, she sounds like Sasha, and Mac says, they have more in common than Cody realizes. Dominique was also sent to a mental hospital.

Sonny says he doesn’t care who Ava’s seeing, as long as it doesn’t affect Avery. He just wants to know if Carly picked up on anything when she saw Gatlin-Holt. She says she just saw him walk through the visiting area. He didn’t even stop to visit anyone. She just assumed he was taking care of a patient in the prison. He asks why she’d say that, and she says, because he had his doctor bag with him. She just assumed he was going to the infirmary.

Ava says she wishes she could offer Portia some words of wisdom, but unfortunately, she doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to healthy relationships. Portia says, and she’s not one to throw stones. To say she and Curtis were going through a rough patch before the shooting would be an understatement. He was just so hurt when she didn’t tell him that he might be Trina’s father. She doesn’t blame him. It almost destroyed their relationship. They were actually making baby steps toward healing when he was shot. But even if they hadn’t faced all those hurdles, even if they’d been blissfully happy since the wedding, she still thinks Curtis would have reacted the same way in this situation. Ava says, so Portia doesn’t think his hostility is about what happened before his injury? and Portia says, no. She thinks this is about Curtis and how vulnerable he feels. Ava knows Curtis, and knows he’s very proud. It’s as if he doesn’t want her to see him that way. He doesn’t want her to see him in a wheelchair. Ava says she imagines Curtis doesn’t want to be seen as weak or helpless, and Portia says, but he isn’t helpless. Even if he has to spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair, that’s not going to make her love him any less. And she’s told him that. She’s made it clear to him that she’s in this with him. She’s in it for the long haul, no matter what life throws at them. Ava says, but he’s still keeping his distance? and Portia says, yes, and it makes him pull away from her even more.

Curtis says, Jordan told him, someone burned down Anna’s house, so she must have proof it’s arson, and Jordan says, this is what they know so far. Anna went for a late-night run sometime after 10:30. She thinks she was gone about 45 minutes. When she got home and saw the flames, she called the fire department, but by the time they arrived, the whole place was engulfed. He says, so the arsonist was watching and waiting for her to leave, and at that late hour, they could have hid under the cover of darkness. No one would have even noticed. She says, exactly, and clearly they just wanted to send a message. Unlike the shooting at the MetroCourt pool, they didn’t want to kill Anna. Curtis says, they’d have to prove it’s intent to kill. The bullet that hit him was a ricochet. She asks, what’s his theory? and he says, maybe the shooter wasn’t intending to hit their target. Like the fire, maybe they were just trying to send a message. She says, and he was collateral damage.

Trina says, they don’t know something bad happened to Spencer’s father. They just have to hope his grandmother and Doc come back with answers. Spencer says, right. He walks over to one of the paintings and says, let’s get to work. He’ll help her hang these paintings for the art show. She asks if he knows how much there is to do before they get to that stage. She has to check in every painting, log in all the artist’s information, and make the tombstones. He says, the tombstones, and she says, that’s the little label that goes next to the artwork describing the piece. (I learned a new thing today! I’m surprised he didn’t know that though.) She tells him that he’s got a lot to learn. So let’s get busy. His phone dings, and he says, she wants to know if he’s coming home for dinner. Trina says, she. Esme.

Brook says she doesn’t understand, and Maxie says, they’ve been served. It’s a lawsuit filed for huge damages, and if that wasn’t bad enough, their Deception stocks are frozen. Gladys says, frozen? and Lucy says, frozen. Let it go. Maxie says, the lawsuit claims the design for The Deceptor was stolen, and Lucy says, which it was not. It was 100% her idea – with a little inspiration from Marty of course (🍷) – but it was all hers. Brook asks, who filed the lawsuit? but Maxie says, they don’t know. The plaintiff is just listed as an LLC. Gladys says she doesn’t even know what those letters mean, and Maxie says, it means they don’t know who’s suing them. Gladys asks how they’re going to get the ban on selling stock lifted, and Maxie says, Gladys doesn’t seem to understand what’s going on here. They can’t sell their stocks. It’s a court order. Gladys says, then unorder it. They have to do something. She needs the damn money.

Mac says he was in love with Dominique, and he knows she would have adored Cody. The crazy thing is, he understands Cody’s impulse to want to rescue Sasha. He tried to do the same thing with Dominique, so he gets where Cody is coming from. Cody says, then why doesn’t Mac just back off and leave him alone? and Mac says, because he can’t. For a short time, he thought Cody was his son. It was a feeling he’s never had before… until it wasn’t. He has to look out for Cody. It’s what Dominique would have wanted. He’s here to help Cody, so please let him. In some really bad timing, Sam runs in.

Ava says she’s so sorry, and Portia says she just doesn’t know what else she can do. She’s trying to convince Curtis that her love for him has nothing to do with whether he can walk or not. Of course (🍷) she’s praying he gets out of that wheelchair, but if he doesn’t, it doesn’t change her love for him. Ava says, it may seem like Curtis is trying to keep his distance from her, but that’s probably just a defense mechanism. He knows he needs Portia’s support; he just doesn’t want the guilt that comes along with it. Portia asks what he has to feel guilty about. She’s the one who hurt him. Ava says she doesn’t want to play armchair psychologist here, but maybe he thinks Portia would be giving up her life to take care of him. Portia says, but she wouldn’t be giving anything up. It would be challenging to adjust to a new reality, but she just feels like that’s what marriage is about; in sickness or in health. Ava says, she’s not the one Portia needs to convince. Portia needs to go to Curtis and tell him this. Tell him how she feels. Portia says she’s tried. He’s not listening to her. Ava says, then make him listen. Tell him again. And again and again, until he hears her. Because Curtis may not be able to admit it right now, but he needs her. Ava picks up her bag and leaves, giving Portia a nod as she goes out the door.

On the phone, Dante asks if there are any updates on the fire at Anna Devane’s house… Great. Can they send him that file?… There’s a knock at the door, and he says, great. Thanks. He opens the door, and Valentin comes in. Dante says, Charlotte should be down any second, and Valentin thanks Dante for letting Charlotte stay here while Laura is out of town. Dante says, of course (🍷). She’s family, right? Rocco’s really enjoyed hanging out with her again. Valentin says, good. He figured it would be safer for her to be here than with him, and given what happened, he guesses he was right. Dante says he’s sorry about Anna’s house burning down. Where is he going to live now?

Cody says, great. Another one here to hassle him. Did Dante send Sam to do his dirty work? To hell with the both of them. He goes in the back, and Sam says, that went well. Mac says he’s worried about Cody. He’s just so combative; he won’t listen to reason. Sam says she knows. Dante told her about Cody’s meltdown at the PCPD. Mac says, he totally lost control. He was paranoid and hostile. He’s doing his best to calm Cody down, but he just won’t listen to reason. Hopefully, being at the Quartermaines will help him. The horses will be a good distraction. She says she hopes so, and he says he has to head out, but keep him in the loop. If Cody needs anything, let him know. Sam says, of course (🍷), and Mac leaves. Cody comes out and says, she got rid of the cop. Great. Now it’s her turn… She says, stop. Drop the act. She’s not going anywhere until he tells her what the hell is going on.

Sonny thanks Carly for the information and asks, how was her visit with Drew? She pours them coffee and says, he’s hanging in there. He’s much better now that he’s out of solitary confinement. She thanks him, and he asks why Drew was there in the first place. She sighs and says, he was defending an inmate, and Sonny says, sounds like Drew. She says, except it was Cyrus Renault, and he asks why Drew would want to protect that guy. She says she doesn’t know. She doesn’t understand it herself, but that’s why they’ve got to get him out of there. She’s afraid the other inmates are going to want to retaliate. He says, she doesn’t have to worry about Book, and she says, who’s Book? He says, Book’s a punk and he’s not going to bother Drew again. She says, that’s why Dex was there.

Trina says, so Esme wants Spencer to come home for dinner, and he says he’d much rather stay here with her. She says she gets it. There’s a ton of things she has to do for this exhibit, so go home and have dinner with Ace. He says, Ace’s dinner consists of a bottle. It’s not really much of a… Okay. He thanks her for understanding and says, she’s probably right. Portia runs in with a take-out bag, and says, surprise!

Sam says, Mac thinks that Cody is actually having a nervous breakdown, and Cody says, maybe he is, but she says, no. The timing is way too convenient. He can drop the act. Tell her the real story. He says, Sam… but she says, first he tried to go and see Sasha, and that failed. Then suddenly out of the blue, he wants to put himself in a straitjacket. He can’t con a con. She knows a play when she sees one. He says, then help him pull it off.

Brook asks why Gladys needs to sell Sasha’s stock, and Gladys says, it’s just that her medical bills are piling up. Brook says, doesn’t she have insurance? and Gladys says, of course (🍷), but the deductible is huge. The only way she can pay for it is to sell her stock. Maxie says, it’s not going to happen, and Gladys asks if she can’t get the lawsuit thrown out. Lucy says, obviously their lawyer is working on that, and Gladys just needs to calm down. Gladys says, they need to work faster because she can’t wait. Maxie says, she’s going to have to. Their hands are tied. It’s up to the court now. The plaintiff submitted their design process, along with them submitting theirs. Lucy says, how in the world did they get their hands on Deception’s designs? Which actually shouldn’t matter, should it? They weren’t stolen, it was all right up here; she points to her head. But now, their best-selling product is on ice, their stocks are tanking, and this is an absolute nightmare which gummies probably won’t fix. She walks out.

Valentin tells Dante that they’re still figuring things out, but in the meantime, as far as Charlotte is concerned, she’s happy here. He doesn’t see any reason to uproot her, if that’s okay with Dante. Dante says, it’s fine. They love having her. How’s Anna doing? Valentin says, it’s an emotional time. It wasn’t just her home. She lost all her possessions, the things that meant something to her, and of course (🍷) that happened after her past was exposed. Dante says, she’s been through a lot. It’s weird timing. The fire is kind of suspect when you think about it. Whoever did it must have been surveilling the house. Anna wasn’t there. Valentin wasn’t there. He heard Valentin was at ELQ that night? Valentin says he had a minor emergency that he had to take care of, and Dante says he’s sorry. What kind of emergency would be at ELQ at that time of night? Charlotte runs down the stairs and hugs Valentin. He says, mon petite, and she says she had a great day at camp. He says he can’t wait to hear all about it.

Curtis does deltoid exercises, and Brent says he hopes Curtis doesn’t mind if he points out his ex-wife is one hell of an attractive lady. Curtis asks why he’d be offended; Jordan’s a beautiful woman. Brent asks if she’s a beautiful woman who happens to be single, but Curtis says he doesn’t keep tabs on his ex-wife. Brent says he hopes she comes to visit again, and Curtis says, for Brent or for him? Brent laughs and says he’s just looking out for his patients. It makes him happy when they have visitors. And should the opportunity present itself again, perhaps he can get to know Jordan a little better. Curtis says, she’s a great lady, very complicated, and Brent says he can deal with complicated. His phone dings, and he says he needs to check in with his supervisor. A woman brings in another patient, a man who is missing both legs, has prosthetics, and walks with canes. Brent says he’ll get him started as soon as he gets back, and the man says, no rush. Brent leaves, and the man gets on the parallel bars. He walks between them, as Curtis watches, and he says, what? Is his form lacking? Curtis says, not at all. He was just wondering if he’ll ever get that far.

Spencer says he was just helping Trina get set up for her art show, and Portia says she sees. How’s Ace? Spencer says, he’s fine, and Portia says, good. Those parenting classes with Esme must really be helping. He says, they’re helping a lot, and tells Trina that he’ll let her get back to work. Enjoy her dinner. He leaves, and Portia says, sorry. She didn’t mean to intrude. She just wanted to bring Trina dinner to celebrate her first week back at the gallery. Trina says, that’s okay. She’s glad Portia’s here. She probably needed the distraction with everything she and Curtis are going through.

Cody tells Sam, guilty as charged. But he has to get into Ferncliff. It’s the only way he can help Sasha. She says, that means having himself committed, and he says, exactly. She says, he must be really crazy if he thinks that plan will work. Has he never seen One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest? Once you get in, it’s really hard to get out. He says, then help him, and she says, help him fake crazy? He says, no. Help him get committed. She laughs and says, yeah. No way.

Charlotte says she told Valentin about the CIT program, right? I think of Meatballs, and he says, the Counselor-In-Training program, yeah. She says, a bunch of her friends are doing it too, and he says, that’s great. She must be excited to see them after so much time away. She says, you know what’s weird? In some ways, her friends are so different, but in others, they’re exactly the same. He asks if she still enjoys being with them, and she says she does, but it’s hard at the end of the day when they’re being picked up by their moms. He says, she misses her mom, and she says, Dante took her to see her mom last week. She keeps hoping her mom’s going to wake up, but she never changes. He tells her, go grab her backpack. He’s hungry. They’re going to eat by the pool at the MetroCourt. She goes upstairs, and Valentin tells Dante that he really appreciates everything he’s doing for Charlotte. But if he’s going to take her to see Lulu, let him know, because it’s very upsetting to her. Dante says, it is upsetting to her, but Lulu’s her mother, and Charlotte asked him to take her. He’s going to do that every time without asking Valentin’s permission. Charlotte comes back and says she’s ready for a cheeseburger. Valentin says, let’s go, and Dante tells them to have a good time.

The other patient continues his walking, and Curtis says, his determination is impressive. He’s sitting there wondering how long it will take him to get to the man’s level. Then he thinks he’ll probably never get there. The man says, if Curtis starts comparing himself to other disabled people in terms of what he can and can’t do, he’ll drive himself crazy. Everyone’s situation is different. You have to learn which limits you can push past, and which ones you have to accept. Curtis says, that’s easier said than done. He’s still trying to wrap his brain around… He looks down at his legs and says, you know. The man says, did he have a different life than he expected? Sure. But it’s still his life, so despite the limitations, he’s going to live it to the best of his ability, and Curtis should too.

Portia tells Trina, everybody is really pulling together for Curtis. Stella is going to stay in town, and poor N’neka, she’s overwhelmed at The Savoy, so Marshall is going to help out and look for a manager to help out until Curtis gets on his… until Curtis is feeling better. Trina asks if Portia visited him today, and Portia says she tried. Trina says, visiting hours were over? Portia says, no. She drove there, but she didn’t make it out of the parking lot. She just sat there in the car for twenty minutes looking at the building. But she couldn’t do it; she couldn’t go in. She wanted to see him so badly, but every time she visits, he pushes her away, and she just couldn’t go through that again. Trina says, maybe right now, Curtis just needs space. Just let him go through his physical therapy, and he’ll come around. Portia says she’s not so sure about that, and she feels so utterly selfish. Curtis is in a wheelchair, and she’s upset because he’s pushing her away? She wants to be there for him so bad, but he doesn’t want her. She can barely hold back the tears, and says she doesn’t know what to do, and Trina says, there are no easy answers, and they hug.

Carly asks, how is Dex? and Sonny wonders why she would ask that. She says, because he’s dating her daughter, and she doesn’t want Josslyn dragged into some dangerous situation. He says, Dex is smart. Dex knows how important Josslyn is to him. He cares about her; he’s not going to let anything happen to her. Carly says, let’s hope so, and Sonny says he’s got to run. If she finds out anything else as far as Austin visiting Pentenville, let him know because Austin gets under his skin and he’s going to find out why.

Tomorrow, Brook says she could kill someone with her bare hands; Sam asks if Cody is willing to take that risk; and Tracy says she loves to win.

🩺 In Case You Were Wondering…

Apparently, Gregory’s doctor gets around. I never did see Night Shift, but I don’t think it was on very long.

🦚 Project Men…

Just five designers were left, and tonight’s challenge was flamboyant menswear, bringing back peacocking. Colman Domingo (I love him!) was the guest judge, and Elaine said, nobody peacocks better. Since the menswear challenge caused Brittany to spiral and be shown the door in her season, she was on edge, but Colman said her look was reminiscent of Victorian and 70s disco and she ended up in the top three. So did Bishme, who had the look I liked best. He explained that his character was going to a wild, wild west movie premiere, which probably described it best. Nina called Rami’s design (which was also in the top three) a draping delight. It was a different take on the tux, silky with one sleeve, a combination of masculine and feminine vibes, and something Nina had never seen before, which was saying a lot. It wasn’t my favorite, but I’m not a fan of the one-sleeve thing. In the bottom two were Prajje, who created a busy, artsy suit… or something; and Laurence, who had a Gladiator meets Outlander look. She’d had some kind of sheer shirt involved, but decided to ditch it, and I’ll bet she second guessed herself a million times after scoring low. Brandon said, Prajje’s design felt like a nutcracker waiting to get into a gay bar, and Laurence’s design looked like a confused businessman who moonlights at an S&M bar. Hey, I have no idea what’s in his mind either, but that’s what he said. I sense a theme there, but it’s not quite coherent. Prajje was out, and Rami was the big winner, although Brittany probably got the most kudos from Colman, who said he’d fight other actors to wear her design on the red carpet. Prajje took it like the champ he is, and said he felt like he’d already won.

Next time, an avant-garde design taking inspiration from architecture.

For the full scoop, go here. They have hands down the best recap.

🌃 Those Summer Nights…

Come on down tomorrow for soap, tea, words to contemplate, and music to soothe your soul. Until then, stay safe, stay always leaving them wanting more, and stay learning which limits you can push past, and which ones you have to accept. Everyone’s situation is different.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Anna and Robert cross a footbridge. Anna looks over the edge, and says, that is a long drop. She says, it’s a long way from the compound site, and Robert says, if Pater makes a run for it, he’ll be intercepted. She says, he could try the main gate, and Robert says, in which case there’s a nice group of agents ready to welcome him, but that’s not Peter’s M.O. He’s going to wait for darkness, and slither away. She says she’s not going to shoot to kill, but he says, he is.

At The Savoy, Portia says, as exciting as Curtis’s detective days might have been, she’s glad they’re over, private and otherwise. That’s one thing she and Stella have in common; they both like knowing he’s safe and sound. He says he intends to stay that way, because he certainly has a lot to live for. He kisses her, and a man watches them from across the room. Curtis says, how about a toast? and she says, he sounds like he’s got something in mind. He says he does, and raises his glass, saying, may the past stay in the past. She says, amen to that, and they clink glasses.

At a table, Nikolas and Ava are served champagne. She asks what they’re drinking to, and he says, that depends on her answer. He takes out a ring box, and says, she threw these at his feet when she walked away from him. He opens the box, revealing her wedding set, and says, now he’s asking her with all of his heart if he can put them back on her.

Dante asks where Victor is holding Drew, and Victor says he can take them to Drew’s cell, but he doesn’t know if Drew is still there. Sam asks, where else would he be? and Victor says, Peter bribed the guards to do his bidding. It’s more than likely he’s taken Drew. Sam says, there’s no way in hell Drew would go anywhere with Peter, but Victor says, Drew doesn’t have a choice.

Portia looks at Ava and Nikolas, and Curtis says, let him guess. Not her favorite couple. She says she’s made her peace with Ava, but as for Nikolas, wherever he goes, disaster seems to follow.

Ava says she remembers taking her rings off, desperate to convince Nikolas that the marriage was over. She was trying to convince herself, but never did. She’s missed them. Nothing would make her happier than Nikolas putting them back where they belong. He takes her hand, and says, Ava, my wife, I love you – he puts the rings on her – with all that I have and all that I am, now and forever. She gets teary, and says, Nikolas, my husband, I love you, with all that I have and all that I am, now and forever. He says, now they can toast, and raises his glass, saying, to us. She says, to Mr. and Mrs. Nikolas Cassadine. Jason and Britt walk in.

Britt says, there they are, and Jason says he told her Spinelli would track him down. She says, he’s a useful guy to have around, and he asks if this is the way she wants to play it. She says she’s got this, but do her a favor. Don’t go too far in case she needs back-up. She pulls out a chair next to Ava, and sits. She says, mind if she joins them? It’ll be fun, walk down Memory Lane… Nikolas says she’s not saying the fun part, and she says, come on. Not every past association has to be negative. She tells Ava, he used to have the most awful nightmares about his family. Growing up in that nest of vipers would give anyone bad dreams. He would wake up in a cold sweat. She asks Nikolas if his troubled family history still disturbs his sleep.

Anna tells Robert, someone’s coming, and he says, here we go. Valentin and Drew crouch down, and go across the footbridge. She says, it’s Drew and Valentin, and Robert says, damn. She calls to Valentin, and he stands up, saying, Anna. Peter shoots him, and Robert holds Anna back. Drew fires at Peter, who returns the fire. Drew is hit, and falls over the side of the bridge. Valentin manages to make it to Anna and Robert, and Peter jets. Valentin asks if Anna is okay, and she says she’s fine; he’s the one who’s been hit.

Curtis asks Portia, what’s wrong? Talk to him. She says, it’s Spencer’s father. Not that she considers him to be a very good one. He says, he heard Spencer was arrested. He didn’t harm Trina at all, did he? She says, not physically, but he outright lied to her and played on her sympathy, when the whole time, his whole goal was to get back at Ava. Then Nikolas jumps in, playing the same twisted mind games as Spencer – like father, like son – and Trina gets caught in the middle. He says, to hell with that. He has no problem getting them the hell out. She grabs his arm, and says she appreciates the impulse, she really does, but Trina’s close to Ava, and she’d rather not escalate the tension.

Nika asks the watching man if he wants another round, and he nods.

Ava says, Nikolas doesn’t have fears about his family or anything else; not when he’s with her. Britt says, so he’s not concerned about his family’s operations in Crete? and he says, what operations? She tells him, Scotty’s computer was hacked with spyware that’s been traced back to Greece, specifically Crete, but Nikolas says he doesn’t know what that has to do with him. Computer hackers are pretty common these days. She says, this one in particular hits close to home, and Ava asks, how so? Britt says, whoever spied on Scotty, used that information to get to her mother.

Victor tells Dante and Sam, the cells are on the lower level. You go through the door and down the stairs. They shouldn’t encounter any guards. He wasn’t paying them enough to die protecting this place, but he has no idea how much Peter was paying them to betray him, so they’d best proceed with caution. Good luck. He starts to leave, but Dante says, no. He’s their luck. He’s coming with them. Victor says, why? They want Peter, not him. Sam says, right now, they want Drew. Peter will be a bonus, but he’s going to show them the way. Victor says, it seems he doesn’t have any choice, but before they go in search of Drew, there’s someone else who needs rescuing.

Nikolas says, Britt is an intelligent woman. She must realize her mother doesn’t lack for enemies, but he’s not one of them. Ava says, just because Scotty’s hacker was traced to Greece, why assume the Cassadines were involved? Britt says she has to start somewhere, and the Cassadines are the only Greek family she knows, and they’re a family with a pretty sketchy history, so… Nikolas says, he left the island and the family business behind when he came back to Port Charles, and Ava asks if Britt is finished then. This is a big night for them; they’re celebrating. Britt says she’s sorry to delay their big night, but she needs a moment with Nikolas… alone.

Valentin asks, where’s Drew? and Anna asks Robert, where’s Peter? Did Robert hit him? Robert says, running for his life, he thinks. She asks again if he hit Peter, but he says he doesn’t think so. She asks if he saw Drew, and he shines the flashlight into the water. He says, this light’s not powerful enough; he can’t see anything. Drew floats in the water, bleeding.

Anna says they have to move fast, and Robert asks what Valentin’s body temperature is. She says she doesn’t know and feels his forehead, but Valentin says he’s fine. They have to get Peter. Anna says they have to get him to the hospital, and Valentin says, there’s someone else who needs rescuing. She asks, who? and he says, Obrecht.

Nikolas asks how he can help Britt find her mom, and she says, maybe they can help each other out. Ava goes over to the bar, and asks Curtis if he’d mind if she had a word with the good doctor. He says it’s up to Portia, who says it’s fine with her. They shouldn’t be long.

The man watches Curtis go over to Jason, and asks what brings him in; business or pleasure? Jason says, neither. He’s just there helping a friend. He looks over at Britt. Nikolas asks how Britt thinks they can help each other out.

Victor leads Sam and Dante to Obrecht’s cell, and calls for her, but it’s empty. He says, she’s gone, and Dante says, he brought them to Obrecht’s cell first? Victor says, she’s in more danger from Peter than Drew. Sam says, cats have nine lives, but Obrecht must have ten, and Dante says, maybe they just moved her to another location. Victor says he prays she managed to escape. Dante picks up a syringe from the floor, and says, unless she needed medical attention, he doesn’t think she left the cell of her own free will.

Britt tells Nikolas that she heard about Spencer. All those months he and Ava lived in fear, it turned out to be Spencer all along, but some of the things he did don’t feel like Spencer’s style at all. Burning a car is simultaneously cliché and overkill. Nikolas says, he admits he was responsible. Ava was right to have him arrested. She says she asked to speak to him alone because she didn’t want to say this in front of Ava. If Spencer was willing to go to those extremes to separate them, it’s doubtful Nikolas can get through to him. Spencer still likes her, and considers her a friend, even a mentor of sorts. Maybe he’ll listen to her. She’d be happy to talk to him.

Curtis asks if there’s trouble with Britt and Nikolas, but Jason says he doesn’t want to know. Curtis sits down, and says Jason is right; he doesn’t. He was just telling Portia how happy he was to be out of that game. But based on experience, he and Jason know it’s not a game at all, right? People get hurt, and may even die. The man continues to watch Curtis.

Victor asks Dante what they’re standing around there for; Liesl’s in great danger. Dante says, Obrecht is going to be just fine. Like Sam said, she’s like some crazy cat lady with nine lives. Victor needs to take him to Drew’s cell. Victor says, it seems Sam is one step ahead of them. Dante calls to Sam.

Ava asks Portia how Trina is doing. They’ve been in touch in the past couple weeks, but she’s been distracted. She knows Trina is busy with school. Portia says, she loves it at PCU. As much as she loves having Trina home, she thinks living in the dorms is good for Trina’s independence. Most of her classes are basic courses, but she’s got one elective, art history, and in Trina’s words, it’s epic. Ava says she doesn’t worry about Trina academically one bit, but she wonders if Trina is as grounded when it comes to her social life. She was surprised when Trina put so much faith in the young man who introduced himself as Victor, and turned out to be Spencer. Portia says, Trina hasn’t told her too much about it, but she knows it’s been difficult. Spencer made Trina question her own judgment. Ava asks if Portia blames Spencer’s father for what Spencer has done, and Portia says she thinks he played a pivotal role in driving Spencer to his outrageous behavior. She knows Ava is in love with Nikolas, and doesn’t expect Ava to see it her way, and Ava says, she loves Trina too, and hates that she’s been dragged into such a dysfunctional situation. Spencer didn’t just lie and manipulate; he broke the law. That’s why she’s making sure he pays for what he did. Portia says, by having him arrested? and Ava nods. Portia says if Ava thinks she supports that decision, she’s mistaken. She disagrees.

Curtis asks Jason how Sonny is, and Jason says, he’s glad to be back. Curtis says, nine months is a long time. It’s got to be an adjustment coming back. Jason says, he’s doing okay, and Curtis says, Nina told him a little bit about what happened. He’s not defending her in any way, but Nina was there when Michael and Willow came in the other night. Let’s just say, pretty frank opinions were exchanged. Jason says, Michael has a right to his opinion, and obviously Curtis has a right to his. Curtis tells Jason, like he said, he’s not defending her, but he believes she’s deserving of another chance.

The watching man asks Nika, when is the first set? but she says, she’s sorry. There’s no live music tonight. He says, that’s too bad. What kind of acts do they book here? She says, it’s a pretty eclectic mix, and he asks who books the acts; the owner, or do they have a booking agent? She tells him, the owner does it himself, and points Curtis out.

Valentin says he didn’t want to die in Greece, and Anna says she’s not going to let him. Talk to her about Charlotte. He says, Charlotte’s a good girl. She wants a new horse. She wants to keep the pony – she loves that pony – but she’s ready for a jumper. He has his eye on a thoroughbred who used to be a racehorse. Real disappointment, but he thinks he can get a good deal, and wants to give him a second chance. He thinks everybody deserves a second chance, doesn’t she? She says, yeah, and he says he thinks there’s a good chance she’s going to have to tell Charlotte what happened here. Promise him she’ll do it. Charlotte admires her. And Bailey. That sweet thing is never going to know him. Promise him that she’ll tell his children that he loves them. She calls to Robert, telling him, get over here. She doesn’t think Valentin can hold on much longer.

Britt says, Spencer spent his entire life in the lap of luxury, so if he’s willing to spend an entire night in jail, that means he’s really dug in on his position. Maybe he needs to talk to a more neutral person who can help him find a way to apologize and also save face. It doesn’t hurt to try, right? She helps him, he helps her. It’s a win-win. He says if she wants to visit Spencer in jail, he can’t stop her, but they don’t have a deal. She asks, why not? and he says he admires her devotion to her mother, but he meant what he said; he can’t help her. His family sold off their holdings in Crete years ago. She says, which means his family used to have properties there.

Dante tells Victor, no funny stuff. Victor had better be taking him to Drew’s cell. Victor says he is, but that doesn’t mean Sam’s found it. They go into Drew’s cell, and Sam is there. Dante tells her not to take off like that again, and she says she’s sorry. When she saw that syringe, she was afraid that whatever happened to Obrecht, happened to Drew. Victor says, Peter doesn’t need drugs to control Drew. He has something far better. Dante asks what he’s talking about, and he says, Drew’s conditioning is still active. Sam says he’s wrong. Drew had an operation and the conditioning is gone. Victor says, Faison was either greedy or prudent, depending on your point of view. He installed a shortcut, a simple image or phrase that can activate the conditionings. A trigger known only to Faison, and now it appears, to Peter. Dante asks if Victor knows this for sure, and he tells Dante to ask Robert or Anna. They were at the tavern in Panapolia (sounds like – I still don’t know if that’s right). Dante says they know that place, and Victor says, a masked gunman ambushed them, and when they fired back, the gunman retreated. Coincidentally, the next morning, this morning, Drew was found with a bullet wound. Don’t worry. It’s nothing serious, just a graze, but it appears Drew is completely under Peter’s control. Sam says, not completely, and points to Scout’s name on the wall. She says, he remembered his daughter’s name. Peter hasn’t won.

Nikolas says, the Cassadines used to own property in Crete, but sold them. It’s all part of public record. Britt says, stop acting like they’re talking about a three-bedroom bungalow in a nice neighborhood in a good school district. The Cassadines don’t buy normal homes like other people. They go after creepy caves, and volcanoes, and offshore islands with their own private harbors. He says he’s not going to deny the Cassadines think big. His grandfather built a retreat there before he was even born. She says, okay. Now they’re getting somewhere. Can he tell her how to get there? He says, what’s the point? They sold it a long time ago. It was converted to a monastery at one point, famous for it’s vineyards. He’s been told the wine is to die for. She says she hopes not for her mother’s sake, and he says she could take her Holy Orders and become a monk, but they’re pretty old school there; men only. Besides, it’s in the middle of nowhere. The only thing close is a tiny village, with a church, a post office, and a tavern. Then there’s nothing for miles.

Robert and Anna go back to the tavern, and Robert says they’re lucky they’re in a place where the bars stay open late. He could use a drink or two. Anna says she should have stayed with Valentin, and Robert says, come on. He’s been airlifted to the Consulate hospital. She says, with his life hanging by a thread, and he asks what she thinks she’s going to do? They have a ton of stuff to focus on there. He orders two glasses of ouzo, and the guard/agent comes in. Robert says he asked the agent to keep an eye on Sam and Dante. Where are they? The agent regrets to inform Robert that he didn’t complete his assignment. Robert says, that means what? and the agent says, they weren’t agents. They weren’t here on an op. They didn’t care about WSB protocols. They wanted to find a little girl’s father and bring him home. Robert says, he let them go? and he says he might have gone outside to investigate a noise, and when he came back, they were gone. Robert says he swears the agent is going to be busted down to a parking lot attendant… Anna says, for God’s sake, Robert, come on. Doesn’t he think this night has been bad enough? So what? He showed a little compassion. It’s not a bad quality for an agent, is it? Robert says, he broke the rules, and Anna says she knows agents who have done a lot worse. Two of them are standing right here. The day Robert says rules are more important than people, is the day he turns into a liar. Rules are meant to be lightly ignored, or downright broken, and he knows that better than anyone.

Dante tells Sam, they have to go. Every minute that goes by, Peter is getting further and further away with Obrecht and Drew. Let’s go. Victor starts to follow them, and Drew says, not him. He’s going to lock Victor in there. Victor says they can’t leave him there, and Dante says he’ll send someone to babysit Victor. Victor says, if Peter comes back, he’ll show no mercy, and Sam says, like Victor did for Drew? Victor says, Peter was the one responsible for Drew’s abduction; Peter was behind his captivity. Did he facilitate it? Yes, fine, but does he regret it? Oh my God, immeasurably. In a lifetime of questionable alliances, not the least with his barking mad own brother Mikkos, getting close with Peter was the worst mistake of his life. All he wants to do is live long enough to pay that bastard back; live being the operative word. He knows this place like the back of his hand. They need him to guide them safely out of here. Sam asks what Dante thinks; someone who could actually show them around? Dante says, all right, but if Victor tries anything, he will shoot him. Show them the way. Victor says, follow him, and they go.

Portia tells Ava, if Spencer is convicted, that’s going to be on his record for life. Ava says, that’s entirely up to him. She set her anger aside, went to the PCPD, and offered him an olive branch. She just hopes he was smart enough to take it. Maybe someday, if Spencer gets his act together, he and Trina can be friends again. Portia says she’s going to be encouraging her daughter to stay far, far away from Ava’s stepson. Ava says, because of what Spencer did, or because Trina got caught in the middle? Portia says, neither. It’s because of who Spencer is.

Sam approaches Robert at the bar, and he asks where she’s been. He told her to stay put. She says, they found someone who can maybe help them find Drew, and Dante brings Victor in, wearing handcuffs. Robert says he kind of knew the rumors of Victor’s demise were greatly exaggerated, and Victor says he can explain, but first he needs to know, did Valentin manage to escape? They were separated in all the confusion. Anna says, he was shot in the back by Peter. He’s been airlifted out. Victor asks if they know his prognosis, and she says, he’s critical. Why does Victor care? He’s heard Valentin isn’t a Cassadine. He’s no relation to Victor. Victor says she couldn’t be more wrong. Helena had an affair… with him. Valentin’s his son, and a true Cassadine.

Victor says, she was convinced Mikkos was cheating on her, which of course (🍷) he was. He knows people saw her as heartless and vindictive, but Helena was always far more complex than that. Sometimes even vulnerable. She felt Mikkos was her life partner; her soulmate, if you will. When she learned of his many infidelities, it crushed her. One day, Victor found her crying. He was intending only to comfort her, but comfort turned to passion. One thing led to another. He doesn’t regret any of it. Robert says Victor will have to pardon him if he throws up in his mouth over this, and Victor says, Helena paid Mikkos back with interest. She kept her pregnancy secret, and fostered the child with a local girl Mikkos had already discarded. Then she tricked Mikkos into believing Valentin was his son. He sent Valentin away to boarding school, and forgot about him. Victor felt Valentin was safer that way, so he did nothing to dispute the lie. Anna asks why he wants to claim Valentin now, and he says he knew Peter was going to double-cross him at any time; he was already holding Valentin captive. He didn’t know if either of them was going to survive, and he thought his son had a right to know his father before he died. Anna says she hopes Valentin laughed in his face, and Victor says, he did actually, but that doesn’t make it any less true. She says, father, uncle, random stranger makes no difference to her. If Valentin dies, she’s holding Victor responsible.

Curtis tells Jason that he didn’t know it was so difficult to prove a person was legally alive. Jason says, Diane had to do it when he came back. She’s probably the only person not complaining, because she’s making a fortune off it. Curtis says, but she’s not so thrilled to see Sonny alive that she’s working at a discount, and Jason says, she loves Sonny and she’s like his own, but a discount? Not a chance.

The watching man asks Nika if they feature acts from the Northeast, or do they get them from all over? He knows she said eclectic, but he doesn’t know if that means style or geography. She says, both. Since they opened, they’ve had acts from all over. One singer came in from London. He says, impressive, and smart. Live music is a great draw. He knows people like to come to clubs with their friends, but when they see a live act, it takes it to the next level. It sounds like her boss knows what he’s doing.

Nikolas tells Britt, his own relationship with his son is complicated to say the least. So even if most people woudn’t understand her devotion to her mother, he does. Maybe there’s something he can do to help. He still has some friends in Crete. He can put in a few and see if anyone’s heard anything. She says, they’re talking about criminals and a possible kidnapping. Does he think his friends will just volunteer information? He says, to a stranger? Absolutely not, but it’s different when it’s one of their own.

Ava says Portia wouldn’t want Trina to be friends with Spencer, even down the line, because he’s a Cassadine? Is that what she means? Portia says, this is no reflection on Ava, but at the end of the day, she wants her daughter safe. In her book, that means keeping Trina away from Ava’s stepson and her husband.

Victor asks if they’ve heard anything from the hospital, but Anna says Valentin’s been gone less than an hour. He would have been taken straight to surgery. She doubts the doctors have time to call them with updates. Victor says, he’s at the American Consulate, isn’t he? and holds out his wrists for Dante to uncuff him. Dante says, he’s not going anywhere, but Victor says Dante knows there are plenty Consulate personnel there to keep an eye on him. Dante says, they might, if Victor actually made it to the Consulate, which he highly doubts Victor is going to do. Just because he’s feeling paternal toward Valentin, doesn’t erase all the bad stuff he did. Victor looks to Anna for help, but she says, there isn’t a chance in hell that he’ll make it to the Consulate on his own volition. He’ll stay here with them, and answer questions. She supposes she could make a call, and steps away.

Britt tells Nikolas that she doesn’t understand why he won’t just give her an address. What’s it to him if she goes to Greece? He says she hasn’t even let him make any calls yet. Not that he’s promising any clues to where her mother might be, but you never know. She tells him to let her know if he hears anything. Her phone rings, and it’s Anna. Nikolas says, maybe Anna has a clue for her, and she leaves the table. The connection isn’t good, and Britt asks where Anna is. Anna says, in Greece. She has news about Britt’s mother.

Robert asks the agent if there’s any news. Sightings? Maybe Peter is dragging around a female hostage by the name of Liesl Obrecht? Sam says, shouldn’t he be asking about two hostages? and Dante says, Liesl and Drew. Robert tells the agent that he needs a minute with them, and he leaves. Dante asks, what’s going on? and Sam asks if he knows something about Drew. Robert says he’s got news. None of it good.

Nika says there’s a customer she thinks Curtis should meet, and he says he’d love to. Any reason in particular? She says, he was asking about live music, and he tells her to point him in the right direction. She sees the watching man’s table is empty, and Curtis says, it looks like he took off. If he comes back, be sure to introduce them.

Robert says, there’s only one way to the dock, and it’s over the footbridge, and Sam says, that’s where Valentin was shot. What does that have to do with Drew? He says, Valentin and Drew were together. They were halfway across the bridge, when Peter put a shot in Valentin’s back. Drew turned around to draw fire, and Peter put three shots into him. The impact blew Drew back across the bridge and into the water, and it’s a long way. He never surfaced. Dante asks if he’s sure Drew was, and Robert says he is. Dante says, so what he’s saying is he thinks Drew is dead, but they don’t have a body, right? Robert says he has agents combing the area. They’ll call him the minute they find Drew, dead or alive. Dante tells Sam, the one thing Drew has proven so far is that he’s hard to kill. Robert goes over to Victor, and says he’s going to be held accountable for this. Victor says, as he understands it, Robert is retired from the WSB, and is now the DA of Port Charles. This is a little out of his jurisdiction, wouldn’t he say? Robert leans over Victor and tells him, don’t worry. When it comes to the Cassadines, he always makes it personal.

Ava says, she admires any mother who’s protecting her daughter, but Portia does understand how important Trina’s well-being is to her, right? She knows she’s proven that. Portia says she knows Trina admires Ava. She looks up to Ava, and cares for her deeply, which is why she went to great lengths to help Ava with her stalker. Ava senses a but coming, and Portia says, she’d be correct. Now that the stalker situation is over, and Ava has decided to stay with Nikolas, she’s cemented herself in the Cassadine family. She just hopes that connection doesn’t come back to haunt Ava – or Trina.

Nikolas makes a call, and asks if someone can talk. The bartender in the Crete tavern says, it’s not a good time, but Nikolas says, that’s too bad. He understands there’s been some disruption. Tell him everything.

Jason asks Britt, who was on the phone? and she says, Anna; she was in Greece. It turns out, the IP address Spinelli found on Scotty’s computer, was linked to a Cassadine compound where her mother was being held captive by Peter. But guess what else? He’s not working alone. Jason asks, who’s helping him? and she says, Victor Cassadine. He says, Nikolas’s uncle? and she says, yeah, the dead guy. But there’s something else. Jason’s brother Drew was also being held on the compound. He says, Drew was in the prison? and she tells him, Anna said the WSB stormed the place and grabbed Victor, but Drew took a bullet, and is presumed dead. He says, presumed. So there’s no body – again. She says, apparently, Peter shot Drew on some bridge. He fell over the side and into the sea. The WSB is still looking for him, but Anna didn’t sound hopeful. He says, what about Peter? and she says, vanished, and so has her mother. He says, we need to go to Greece, and she says she’s game if he is.

Peter is sitting in a car, and says, are we good? Drew takes off the protective gear he had on under his clothing, and Peter says, between the bullet hits and the fall, they have to think he’s dead. Put the gear in the back, and let’s get moving. Drew gets in, and Peter drives off, smiling.

Tomorrow, Nina tells Curtis, a lot has happened in the last few hours; Terry says, somebody called asking about Finn; Carly wonders why Peter didn’t use this to his advantage; and Jason tells someone that he’s about to leave town.

Vanderpump Rules

In Raquel’s interview, she said she couldn’t believe this was her life. She and James called her mom, and she told her mom that the ring had been in a Tiffany’s box. In her interview, Raquel said, Tiffany’s was where all the princesses got their jewelry. Ariana waxed nostalgic with Sandoval about their first Coachella, and in her interview, she said, it was absolutely magical. She told Sandoval that the engagement had him written all over it. In Sandoval’s interview, he said, seeing Ariana so happy made him want to do something as special for her. Scheana said her boobs were telling her that she had to go home. Brock was disappointed to leave early, and in Lala’s interview, she said, welcome to parent life. He hadn’t seen two of his kids in four years, and wasn’t getting any parent of the year award, even though Scheana thought he was perfect. The Toms discussed the evening, and Sandoval said he wanted to make it amazing or not do it at all. Schwartz asked how much was spent, and Sandoval said it had been $25K. In Schwartz’s interview, he questioned the wisdom of this, since they were getting financing for the new bar, and still had money to raise. It was a significant chunk of change. Sandoval said he didn’t know how to do tiny, and in his interview, he said nothing gave him more joy than helping a friend accomplish a dream. He and James had split the cost. Schwartz said he was so impressed, he was letting Sandoval name the bar. I translated this to be Schwartz’s way of avoiding the name conflict. Sandoval said he hoped Schwartz didn’t feel like he was caving, and in his interview, he said, if it upset Katie, she had only one person to blame. Sandoval toasted to Schwartz and Sandy’s. Ugh. He is not reading any room. There isn’t one other person who’s in love with this name.

James ran around yelling, Raquel is my fiancé! Schwartz told Katie that he was impressed, and let Sandoval name the bar. Unfortunately, Sandoval still wanted Schwartz and Sandy’s, but he’d learn to love it. Katie said he’d made a leap forward, and took ten steps back, but he said it would grow on her. In her interview, she said, the only thing she wanted growing on her were her hair and fingernails. LVP called James, and wanted to know the details. She asked which Tiffany’s he’d gone to, but he said, it was a Tiffany diamond; he hadn’t gotten the ring Tiffany’s. The only person not at the engagement was Max. She said she didn’t know how ready Max was to reestablish their relationship, and we flashed back to James being a d*ck. In Lisa’s interview, she said Max was done, but she thought James needed Max on his side.

Katie went over fertility stuff with Schwartz, who was instructed to put a specimen in a jar. In Katie’s interview, she said, having a family was something they’d always planned for, and it was important for Schwartz to be present 100% of the time. She got together with Lala, and a couple of fitness trainers for a session of electromagnetic stimulation. In Lala’s interview, she said, becoming a mom meant your body wasn’t your own. Ocean was out of her, but still attached to her boob 24/7, and it was hard not to feel like some sort of farm animal. She’d heard the a few minutes of the stimulation was the equivalent to hours at the gym. Was she taking the easy way out? Yes. If this is true, why aren’t we all doing it? They got hooked up and zapped, and Lala said it was like nothing she’d felt before. Katie said it felt like every muscle was contracting all at once, and in her interview, suggested using the bathroom before a session. Katie and Lala discussed the fertility issue, and in her interview, Katie said, when everyone around you was getting pregnant, and you weren’t, it was added stress. Meanwhile, Sandoval went to lend moral support to Schwartz – i.e. stand and wait while Schwartz created his specimen. Sandoval came in and asked how Schwartz liked his eggs. Fertilized? Ugh again. He also brought a helpful kit, containg lube (for obvious reasons), a Gwyneth Paltrow vagina candle (on loan), and a face mask (don’t ask). Then he waited while Schwartz… 16 minutes later, Schwartz emerged, and said he’d had raw determination, which was probably not his best choice of words.

Katie asked about the playdate with Summer Moon, and Lala said it was wonderful. She told Katie that since Brock hadn’t spoken to his kids in four years, she thought Scheana was running the risk of him being done with both her and the baby if things didn’t work out. Scheana had a pattern of ignoring the signs, and she was worried for Summer Moon. In Lala’s interview, she said now that she was a mom, she looked at things differently, and told Katie that the stakes were higher; it’s just different. James made Raquel bring a gift to Max when she went to work. In his interview, he said, he’d apologized a million times. He’d gotten Max an Oculus, since they’d played together back in the day. It was the cherry on the apology, and would show he meant it. He didn’t think Raquel should be wearing her ring when she was working, but she said she wanted to show Lisa. In her interview, she said what was the point of having a gorgeous, huge Tiffany diamond if she couldn’t show it off at work and make everyone a little jelly. For the record, I hate when people shorten words like that.

Puffy! Lisa went to TomTom, and the Toms told her about the engagement. Schwartz pretended to hand her his specimen, but it was really a jar of yogurt. In Lisa’s interview, she said she’d been married for 37 years, and had some experience. She knew what it was supposed to look like. She wanted them to stop joking and jerking, and get to work. Scheana got together with Lala for some shopping, and told Lala that once Summer Moon wore something on Instagram, she couldn’t wear it again. In Scheana’s interview, she said Summer Moon already had 110K followers. She’d passed her dad before she was born. Lala asked her how she’d found out about Brock’s kids, and Scheana said he’d been open about the situation since day one. In Lala’s interview, she said she didn’t care if he was Jason Momoa himself, if he hadn’t seen his kids in that long, she wouldn’t be saying, you’re the one to be my baby daddy. Lala said she didn’t want Scheana to live by Brock’s past relationship, but Randal had a similar situation, and she wasn’t turning a blind eye to the fact it could happen to her. She knew people changed, but she didn’t want to be a dummy, and didn’t want anything to happen to Scheana and Summer Moon. In Scheana’s interview, she said she knew her track record wasn’t great, but she didn’t see that happening. Lala said if one day Scheana didn’t want Brock in her or the baby’s lives anymore, she would hope he’d fight to see his kid.

Raquel was excited that his and Raquel’s families were getting together, but James was more apprehensive. In Raquel’s interview, she said her family had met drunk James and angry James, and it was hard to know which James would show up. She was close to her older sister Kate, even though they didn’t have a lot in common. Raquel was adopted at birth by her aunt who’d had no luck getting pregnant, when Raquel’s biological mother had been surprised by her second pregnancy. Kate had still stepped into the big sister role. At dinner, Raquel brought up bringing the gift to Max, and said she’d done the best she could. We saw a clip of that, as well as her showing off her ring to Lisa. Max said Raquel might be making a mistake marrying James, but they’d see, and Raquel told Max that James was very remorseful. James explained to the families that he and Max had gone to dinner, and gotten in an argument. He did things he shouldn’t have, and said things he shouldn’t have. Kate said he seemed to have issues sober or drunk, and in his interview, James said his family loved Raquel right away, but with her family it was a bit more of a journey. James’s mom said, not everyone was perfect, rather than chastising him for being an a-hole. Kate said she didn’t want to see Raquel in a situation where she had to fix James’s problems, and in Raquel’s interview, she said, Kate wasn’t always supportive of their relationship because of James’s drinking. Being Raquel’s big sister, she was always going to be protective. Kate hoped James realized that his behavior could affect Raquel.

Katie and Ariana went to TomTom, and Lisa was there with Ken. Lisa talked to Katie about the whole baby thing, and in Katie’s interview, she said, they’d been trying, but after a while, it becomes a chore and like a job. In Lisa’s interview, she said it was probably breaking Katie’s heart seeing Lala, Scheana, Brittany, and Stassi all having babies at the same time. She must feel left out, and it wasn’t something you could control. She asked Katie if the Toms ever suggested they try for a baby, and Katie said, if could have one, they would. Isn’t TomTom their baby? Lisa sat with the Toms, Katie, and Ariana, and Schwartz said they’d had trouble staffing for the new bar. Lisa asked if they had a problem with Katie having a role in it. Schwartz said she wasn’t the most sociable, and Katie said she’d worked for her mother for years, and there were never any issues. In her interview, she said she worked in her mom’s restaurant, and she would love to have a family business. Um… She also worked for SUR, and I don’t remember her ever being a less than stellar server. Out of nowhere, Sandoval said he’d had to endure a public undressing, and it gave him massive anxiety. In Lisa’s interview, she said she didn’t mean to provoke anything. She just wanted Katie to have something she’s invested in. He ranted on about Scheana’s birthday, and how Katie had told him the restaurant name was uninspired. I guess he forgot they’d established it was actually Schwartz who’d said that. Schwartz said Sandoval never got over Stassi’s book signing, and we flashed back to 2019, when Katie cursed Sandoval out because of some text. In Katie’s interview, she said, Sandoval wasn’t traumatized. He was scared about letting someone work at the bar who won’t lie and say he’s a genius. She told him, it was years ago; get TF over it. Then he went on a tirade about Katie’s rage texts, and Ariana said that hadn’t happened in years. In Ariana’s interview, she said, Tom was all over the place. She understands his past experience was coloring the way he felt about him and Katie working together now, but just say that. Sandoval said he had a reason to feel insecure. Katie felt entitled with her feelings (what does that even mean?), and he had receipts. Screw her for making him feel like a psychopath. Schwartz told him to take a walk, and Sandoval said he was tired of feeling cornered. Ariana said he was the one cornering them.

What a baby. I’m not a huge Ariana fan, but I’m glad to see she isn’t just taking his side because they’re a couple.

Next time, Schwartz says all his sperm have misshaped heads, Lala says she’d blamed Raquel for her relationship with James failing, and Lala has a sit-down with Brock.

🌈 All I Have To Do Is Dream…

Tomorrow, Erika will cry more crocodile tears, and Charleston boys will collide with the Hamptons crowd in the premiere of <shudder> Winter House. I’ll let you know how awful it is. I already know it will be. Until then, stay safe, stay never going to crime scene number two, and stay not letting comfort turn to passion. It could result in a really messy situation.
