General Hospital

Alexis tells Julian that Finn is decent, dependable, honest, and makes her happy.

Anna tells Andre that she didn’t think she could love anyone after Duke. He says the subject of the conversation is heading this way. He tells her that she’ll be fine, and leaves. Finn asks how Brussels was, and Anna says, eye-opening. He’s glad she and Andre had a nice trip. He starts to move along, but she asks him to wait. She says there is no her and Andre; not the way he thinks. She asks if he has a minute to talk, and he thinks he can spare some time.

Brad tells Sonny the lab results are back, and Griff will decide on the medication. Mike says he’s got to meet a shipment at Luke’s place, and asks if Sonny wants to tag along.

Nelle asks the baby if the scarf placement is perfect. She thinks so too, and gets out of Carly’s office.

Carly gives Michael the key card for the suite. He tells her a regular room would be fine, but she asks where he’d put the baby. He tells her that he’s not staying, and she says she doesn’t care, as long as he’s far away from Nelle. Michael leaves, and Jason walks in. Carly tells him about Michael moving, and he says he’s happy for her. It creeps me out a little that he said her instead of Michael. Carly says now if Sam just admits she belongs with Jason, all will be right in her world. Now I’m officially creeped out.

Sam tells Drew they need to talk. He asks what’s up. Her first impulse was to wait, but having done that in the past, she thinks it makes things worse. He says she can tell him anything. She says she has feelings for Jason. He asks what that means, and Sam says she still loves him.

Julian tells Alexis that he doesn’t believe it. She says his ego knows no bounds. Does he think no one else can make her happy? Finn does it for her quite well. He takes those walks in the woods with her that Julian wouldn’t go on. She says Finn isn’t a substitute; she’s moving on, and so should he. Kim overhears, and smiles.

Anna tells Finn it wasn’t a romantic getaway; it was a business trip. He tells her that he heard the casinos are bumping in Brussels. She asks if bumping is a thing, and tells him that no one can pull off using that word. She says Andre is still with the WSB, and Finn says, spy business. He gets it; classified intel. She says not in this case. It was personal. He asks what she was looking for.

Mike talks about Sonny playing kick the can on Thursdays. He was so serious, Mike had to laugh. Sonny tells him that he wasn’t around for that, but Mike says, if that’s the case, how would he remember? Mike asks why they’re always waiting, and Sonny tells him that they’re waiting for his favorite nurse, Deanna. He has to calm down now. Mike says, first Sonny called him a liar, now he’s telling him to calm down. He wants to go home.

Carly tells Jason that Sam admitted she still loved him, the next step is them being together. Spinelli joins them. He says he has some business there, but it will be nice for Maxie to spend some time with Georgie. He apologizes to Jason for being late; he had to make his way around the earthquake damage. His gratitude knows no bounds that they’re all okay. Carly asks what kind of business, and Jason says, not yours. Ha-ha! She tells them that she has her own business waiting on her desk, and goes back to her office. Jason asks if Spinelli has a good plan, and he says he does indeed. Jason says, let’s hear it.

Sam tells Drew that she was too afraid to admit it. She’s in love with Jason, but loves him too. She says her love is real, and tells him to look in her eyes. It’s painful for her. She’s confused, and doesn’t understand it herself. She loves them both. He asks why did they get married?

Anna tells Finn seeing Alexis in his room did sting a little; she’d thought they had a connection. He tells her that he and Alexis aren’t together, but she just keeps talking. When she was away, she thought about them. Finn supposes he did too. She says why it didn’t get off the ground is on her. She’s been guarded about something, and put a barrier between them. She told herself it was to protect him, but she was really protecting herself. She’s afraid it will change the way he sees her. She asks if that makes sense, and Finn says, no.

Sonny tells Mike, we have to get a test. Mike wonders where the we is, since he’s the only one who gets poked and prodded. Sonny says they’re doing this together. Michael arrives, and tells Mike he’s been getting ready for the baby. Mike says, his first great-grandchild. Michael talks about all the baby supplies he needs to get, and Mike says all he needs is a big heart. He asks if Michael has a crib. Michael says he does, and Mike says all that’s missing is earplugs.

Carly goes into her office. I’m hoping she drops dead when she sees the scarf, but instead she says, what the hell? She doesn’t even realize what it is, so, plan fail. She looks at the picture. Oh yeah, it’s Morgan’s scarf.

Spinelli tells Jason he’s been ruminating on the plan. Hasty multiple bank break-ins in Europe, devising an entry, opening vaults and safe deposit boxes, and devising an exit. He thinks he has a simpler alternative. Who better to gain access than Faison’s heir? The mystery son remains a mystery. Who’s to say Henrik doesn’t look like him.

Sam tells Drew that they got married because they love each other. That hasn’t changed. He says it feels like something did. She says they built an amazing life together, and she wanted to hold on to it. He says somewhere along the line, things changed. She tells him that she meant the vows. Looking into eyes of the man she loved, she meant every word. He says when marry someone, you commit yourself to them, and only them, for the rest of your life. He committed himself to her, but she can’t do that for him anymore. She says not until knows who she is.

At Kelly’s, Kim has some pie, and says Julian promised she wouldn’t be eating it alone. He says he’s not an eating his feelings kind of guy, and she suggests he change that; it works. He takes a bite, and puts the fork down. She tells him that he’s officially a robot. She asks what’s next, and he says he doesn’t have much choice. He has to get over Alexis. He’s never tried it before. He’s pathetic; they’re divorced, and Alexis can’t stand him. Maybe he assumed she’d come around, but that’s not going to happen. Kim says she doesn’t think so. He tells her to give him the pie.

Deanna asks if Mike is ready for her, and he says it depends on his grandson. Michael says he’ll be there, and Mike tells Deanna, no funny business; he’s spoken for. She says she’ll try to restrain herself. Sonny thanks Michael. Michael says he didn’t do anything; he’s just taking care of his grandfather. Sonny calls him a good man, and Michael says it’s easy for him. Mike didn’t walk out on him when he was a kid. He tells Sonny that when he was little and asked Sonny about something, he made Michael feel like he was the most important person to him. Sonny says he was. His mom and the kids always were. Michael wants to make sure to pay it forward with his son or daughter. Sonny says he never realized what a blessing memory was. Michael says he’s sorry Sonny is going through this. Sonny says, not him, and Michael says it’s hard for Mike too, but soon, he won’t recognize what’s going on. Sonny tells Michael about Mike remembering him kicking cans. It’s clear he remembered it, but Sonny doesn’t remember him being there. Who’s right? Michael says maybe truth lies somewhere in the middle.

Jason asks if Spinelli wants to pass himself off as Henrik. Spinelli says it’s genius, even if he says so himself. Jason asks what about proof, and Spinelli takes out Faison’s death certificate, Henrik’s birth certificate, and – thanks to Diane – a signed copy of the will, which gives him access to everything. Jason doesn’t remember reading that in the will, and Spinelli says it’s in there now. The best part is that Jason doesn’t even need to come. Jason says he kinda does, but Spinelli says he needs to stay here to be the strong, supportive shoulder that Sam might need, and he suspects she will.

Sam tells Drew that she can’t get either one of them out of her heart. He says he thought what they had was real. She says it is. By this time, she’s crying, and says, it is real to her; he’s real. This didn’t happen to her; it happened to them. She knows it’s hard to understand, but Drew says he understands. Sam says she handled it in the worst possible way. The reality is, she loves them both, and can’t make it okay. She wishes she could, but she can’t make it okay for any of them until she figures out who she is. She has to learn how to trust herself again. She has no idea how she let it get this far. He asks, how far did it get?

Anna tells Finn there are all types of courage. The kind he has, going into surgery; the kind she does, staring down a bad guy. There’s also the kind it takes to confront someone about feelings. Finn makes her laugh, sometimes unintentionally. He makes her want to dive into it, but there’s a thing holding her back. She wonders what she’s doing. She’s being selfish because he’s with Alexis now. He tells her that she’s a good spy, but a terrible listener. Alexis pops out onto the pier, and says Finn is just the person she needs to see.

Nelle sneaks around the hallways at the MetroCourt. She reaches for the fire alarm.

Jason tells Spinelli that in taking care of everyone else, Sam forgot herself. Spinelli says it’s common, especially with mothers. Jason hopes she takes the time and space to rebuild her life, whether he’s in it or not. The fire alarm goes off.

Carly is like, great, and leaves her office.

Andre sees Sonny at the hospital. Sonny wonders, after everything Andre did to Jason and Drew, why is he walking around free? If it was up to him, it wouldn’t be option. Andre says that free is a matter or perspective. He was released on the grounds that he continues his research on memory mapping. Sonny hopes he gets it right this time. Andre says if he could go back and make amends, he’s do it in a heartbeat. Then, maybe he could actually be free, and Drew as well.

Sam tells Drew that she and Jason kissed on New Year’s. Drew says he felt it. She says she knew it was a mistake. She didn’t want to tell him because she didn’t want to lose him over that. He says, but here we are.

Carly tells Jason and Spinelli she thinks it’s a false alarm, but they’re waiting for the fire marshal to give them the all clear. She wonders if someone is trying to sabotage the hotel, but Spinelli says it’s probably a prank. She says it’s the weirdest day. She tells them that someone left a scarf in her office like the one she gave to Morgan. It was dirty, torn, and looked like it had dried blood on it.

Julian tells Kim she should try giving up on someone; it’s liberating. She thinks it’s the pie talking. He says no more measuring words, and Kim says no more working on being friends with someone when you want more. She tells him to fake it till he makes it, and she thinks he will. He does too. She likes his attitude, but he says it’s probably the pie talking.

Alexis apologizes to Finn and Anna; clearly she’s interrupting. Anna says it looks urgent, and she has to go to the hospital anyway. She jets, and Alexis says Finn must want to kill her. He says her timing could be better. He was finally making headway, and she barged in and messed it up before he got there. She asks what if she told him something to make it worse> He says that’s not possible, and she says what if she told Julian that they were really serious? Finn says, it’s possible.

Mike comes back out, asking where Michael is; they were going to lunch. Sonny says he had to take care of some things, but he’s coming back. Sonny agrees that Mike was there when he was playing kick the can. Mike asks, where else would he be? Michael comes back, and suggests they go to Kelly’s. Sonny says he has some business, and tells them to go ahead. He smiles, watching them get into the elevator.

Carly brings Jason and Spinelli to her office, but there’s no scarf. Ohh, I get it. Plan no fail. She says it’s the strangest thing; it’s gone. She left it there when the alarm went off, and the door locks automatically. She says it’s the exact same scarf, showing them the picture. She says it’s beyond bizarre, and Spinelli says it appears they have another mystery on their hands.

Alexis says she’ll tell Julian the truth, but Finn asks, what’s the point, since he and Anna aren’t a couple? She says for her own sanity. He says she doesn’t want to be with Julian, so if the lie works in her favor, go for it. She’s concerned he won’t be the only one who believes it. Finn insists that at this point, he doesn’t care. Let it stand.

Anna runs into Andre as he’s coming out of the hospital elevator. She says she opened up in a blundering way. Just when it couldn’t get worse, Alexis showed up. Andre says he’s sorry. She gets in the elevator, and says he should be. She thought he was supposed to be a professional.

Kim tells Julian that she’ll have to roll home after that pie, and he says there’s a crane in the vicinity. He tells her that she could eat a hundred pies, and still be gorgeous. He says he’ll walk her out to the car. She almost trips, and he catches her. She says, she’s a dancer, and he says, really? She says, no, and he kisses her. She kisses back.

Sonny tells Andre if he wants to make amends, he might have an idea.

Sitting at Kelly’s lunch counter, Nelle asks Brad about the adoption, and congratulates him and Lucas. She asks if he’s excited, and he says, cautiously excited. She can imagine the baby cousins playing together. He tells her to take care of herself, and she says she’s doing everything she needs.

Carly says, first the phone calls, now this. Spinelli wonders what she’s talking about. Jason explains that the calls came from a pay phone. They began with the sound of the wind; then hanging up; then an explosion. He left one out, when they spoke, but I’ll let it pass. He doesn’t think they should jump to conclusions, and have to find out how the scarf got there, and how it disappeared. Carly says, sounds like a plan. Not really.

Drew tells Sam that he loves her. He gave her everything he is; all he’s got. He believes she loves him, but she loves his brother too. It’s too painful to stay there. She might be able to love more than one person, but he’s only capable of loving one. She says he’d told her if she needed him, to just grab his hand; he promised her. He can’t tell her how many times he touches his ring during the day. It reminds him of his family; that’s all that matters. It’s his life now, but suddenly it’s like everything else – just not real. Sam says, they’re real. Go upstairs, and look at their baby and tell her it isn’t real They made her out of love. Drew says, she’s right; Scout is his daughter, and nothing is going to change that. She’ll always have his heart; he wishes he could say same about her. She’ll always be his wife, but he can’t. He puts his ring on the desk. Sam begs him to stay, but he leaves. Wtf did she expect?

On Monday, Ned says there’s a tough job ahead, Alexis asks Jason what he’s saying, and Sonny offers Andre a chance to do good.

📠 Tonight’s Relative Success with Tabatha featured a consignment shop owned by a married couple who seemed like they couldn’t be more mismatched. Since the husband fronted a lot of the business, he thought his responsibility ended there. His wife thought differently, and wanted support in other ways. He started to promote the business among his colleagues, and all was well. Except for her having to fire her niece. This was a blessing in disguise, since said niece was unhappy anyway. Tabatha was annoyed that she practically had to drag it out of her though. I could relate to the wife’s issues about support. It was like the difference between my husband taking something to the post office for me, and sharing the link to my eBay store. Support comes in many forms.

💰 On Sell It Like Serhant (premiering on Bravo, Wednesday, April 11th at 10 pm), Ryan won’t just be helping people sell stuff, he’ll be saving someone’s job who’s bad at it. I’m looking forward to this one.

General Hospital

Michael finds Mike on the balcony. Mike says he’s busy. He’s getting some fresh air, since the air is getting thick inside.

Carly introduces Stella to Sonny. She won’t sugarcoat, and says Alzheimer’s is completely life-changing. The good news is, they’re not alone, and she’ll do everything in her power to help them prepare for what’s coming.

At the station, Anna tells Jordan she’ll do anything she can to help. Jordan tells her to deal with Henrik.

Griff opens Peter’s chart, remembering what Anna said about Henrik having Huntington’s disease, and Peter saying his father had it. Peter asks if Griff is ready for him.

Nina reads to Maxie from a baby magazine about women kneeling during delivery, and catching the baby with their hands. She asks if that’s a thing. Maxie just wants the office visit over. She can’t handle the what ifs; what if the baby has Huntington’s, what will she do, and how will she handle it alone? Nina says she’s not alone. Maxie says she needs a distraction. Nina looks over and sees Elizabeth arguing with Sam, and says, now we’re talking.

Sam thinks Franco knows something. She tells Elizabeth if he did anything to Drew, she’ll take him out herself. Take him out where? BA-DUM-CHH! Actually, that would solve Sam’s problem if she was minus one guy.

Jordan tells Anna she has nothing on Henrik. All she knows is he possibly paid Klein to keep Jason at the clinic. Klein has disappeared, which is no surprise, since there are arrest warrants out on him. It’s the only thing keeping the case open. She has no time or resources to prove Henrik exists, let alone to find him.

Griff is happy to report Peter has no trace of the offending protein. He can go back to his life without worrying or being concerned about passing down the gene to children he might have. Peter is thankful for Griff’s help. Griff say they have one more thing discuss. Other people in his family might not be as fortunate.

Maxie wonders if they should do something, but Nina says it looks personal. Elizabeth asks what makes Sam think Franco did anything to Drew? Sam says because Franco is known to be dangerous. Elizabeth is skeptical that Sam really cares; she cares more about Drew than Sam. Sam asks what that means. Elizabeth says it means if Drew is in trouble she’s happy to help, but Sam isn’t making it easy. Sam says Drew didn’t come home last night, and she has to find him. She thinks Franco is the only lead. Elizabeth tells her to start from the beginning.

Nelle brings up Morgan’s MyFace <snort> page on her laptop, and starts to open a box that came in the mail. Ava comes in, and Nelle tells her not much is going on. Ava thinks it’s time to access the damage from the earthquake. Nelle says it could have been worse, and hands her a report. Ava is impressed, and Nelle says Ava told her that she wanted her to take more initiative. Ava says she even opened the mail, but Nelle tells her the package is part of her plan to neutralize Carly.

Stella tells Sonny and Carly that she’s met her share of families facing the same thing, and is up-to-date in ways of coping, ways to manage the disease, and information for Mike while he can still understand. She tells them to expect memory loss and confusion. She’s not sure how long it will be before his skills are entirely gone. Sonny says it’s not that bad, and Stella says, for the moment. Right now, they can set aside the day to day, and focus on long term concerns.

Mike talks to Michael about the rose bushes. Michael says spring is around the corner; they should be popping soon, but they’re not as beautiful as his great-grandmother’s rose garden. Mike says he knows Lila. Michael says his dad planted a cutting from her, and it thrived. Mike says he’s not surprised. She has a heart of gold. Everything she touches blossoms – except that son-of-a-gun she’s married too. He doesn’t know how she puts up with him. He asks how they are, and Michael tells him that Lila and Edward passed away. Mike says, right; he knew that. Michael says it’s an easy one to forget. You can still feel their presence. That happens with people who are larger than life; they leave an impact on those they loved. Sonny comes out, and asks Mike to come in for a second. There’s someone he wants Mike to meet.

Jordan has received a request from the WSB, and she has no time for all of this. Anna says it’s her fault for pushing the bureau for updates. She didn’t think they’d push Jordan. They can’t close the file on Faison until they have more information on his son.

Griff says Peter mentioned his father’s condition came as a surprise. Peter says what remained of his family died with his father. He had a brother he never knew, who passed as well. Griff looks worried, which was his specialty after med school.

Sam says Drew wasn’t at work, he’s not at the Quartermaine’s, and he’s not answering his phone or texts. Elizabeth asks why she suspects Franco, and Sam tells her the last thing Drew told her was that he was dealing with Franco, and he’s been missing ever since. Elizabeth says it sounds like Franco is the one in danger.

A doctor comes out to tell Maxie that Kim was delayed, but she has the test results.

At the MetroCourt, Andre asks Anna how it went. She wants to drink some tea before she fires off a tirade to the idiot who sent a request about Henrik to Jordan. Instead of actually doing something useful, someone from the bureau decided to push for an update from the PCPD, who don’t even have proof Henrik exists. She says they’re either incompetent or lazy, and they’ll either be demoted to mail clerk or vaporized. Andre is more worried about her, and what the search is doing to her.

Elizabeth tells Sam that she hasn’t seen Franco since last night, but she wasn’t expecting to; they got into a fight. With all the Jim mess, and the memories of their childhood coming to the surface, she figured he was holed up in his studio. Sam starts to get stupid, and Elizabeth says she’s not doing this. She doesn’t care who went after who; she’s going to find Franco. She leaves, and Sam follows. Why so much makeup today, ladies?

Nelle tells Ava that she and Carly had a bit of a reconciliation over the baby. She explains what happened during the earthquake, and how Carly calmed her down. Ava says, will wonders never cease, and Nelle says, with Carly they do. She couldn’t wait to undermine Nelle again. Her apartment was trashed, and Monica insisted she stay at the Quartermaines’. Ava says she must be thrilled, living under the same roof as Michael. Nelle says she had no time to enjoy it before Carly badmouthed her. Ava says she might as well back off, and Nelle asks if Ava thinks she should let it go. Ava says, no. She’s just saying there are worse ideas. Nelle wonders if Ava was hit on the head in the earthquake, but Ava says maybe it’s in her best interest to play nice. Carly can be a formidable adversary. If her plan fails, Carly will come after her, no holds barred.

Mike is introduced to Stella, who says Sonny is almost as handsome as his father. Mike asks how they know each other. Stella says she asked to meet him; they need to discuss his diagnosis. As the disease progresses, he’ll be unable to make decisions, and they need to seize his clarity now and make those decisions before it’s too late. He asks what happens if, down the road, he doesn’t like the decisions they made today? Carly says she and Sonny are there to help. Sonny asks Mike to sign a paper that allows them to handle his affairs. Mike says it’s power of attorney. Sonny wants him to sign his life away?

Sonny says he’s not signing his life away, and Mike says just the ability to control it. Sonny already cost him his job. Sonny says he missed a delivery. Mike says Sonny called him there. He had a job, and a woman he cared about, and ever since Sonny arrived, he’s had nothing. Now Sonny wants him to sign his rights over. Michael says he knows Mike misses his neighborhood, but he’s here because his diagnosis is getting worse. He has to plan for his future. Mike says, easy for Michael to say; he has a future. Michael says he had to pick a guardian for his unborn child in case something happens to him. Mike asks who he is in this situation? Michael or the helpless child? He’s still a man, and won’t have any of them telling him any different. He walks back out on the balcony, and Sonny tells Carly to let him go; it’s on him.

Elizabeth and Sam go to the station. They tell Jordan about Franco and Drew being missing. Jordan asks if it’s been since the earthquake. Elizabeth says they survived the quake, but she’s not sure they’ll survive each other.

Anna tells Andre that she’s frustrated. Henrik has no idea he might have a fatal genetic illness, and she feels the need to warn him. Andre thinks she should take a step back and review her course of action. If she finds him, she could put herself and her family at risk.

Maxie tells Nina she has to call her family. Nina sits on the couch and weeps. Griff sees her, and asks if she’s okay. She says Maxie had the baby tested for Huntington’s disease, and just got the results.

Peter sees Maxie, and asks if she’s all right. She says she just got the results, and the baby doesn’t have Huntington’s disease. He hugs her and says, that’s great news. It was really good of them to make us think the opposite for a while.

Sam tells Jordan that Drew said he was going to see Franco. The last time she heard from him, he said he was dealing with Franco, and hung up. He’s been gone ever since. All they know for sure is that Jim told them an incident happened between them when they were kids. Jordan asks what the hell does this have to do with Jim?

Andre tells Anna that it’s more likely than not Henrik was Faison’s accomplice. Her investigation might not end there; who knows what plots he might be involved in? He doubts Henrik would welcome a visit from a WSB agent, even if it’s his mother. If he’s anything like Faison, he could harm her. She says she has no way to know if he’s evil incarnate or blameless, or like most people, somewhere in the middle. Until she has proof otherwise, she’s giving him the benefit of the doubt. Andre wonders if she’ll turn him in if she does get proof.

Nina tells Griff that she doesn’t know what Maxie would have done if the baby had Huntington’s disease. Griff is thrilled; they need a breather. Nina says it feels like the first time she can breathe since Nathan was killed. She was so angry, and remembers running past Peter, wanting to kill Faison. Thank God that Valentin was there, or she probably would have been arrested. Griff wonders what Peter was doing there. Nina says he was at Crimson with Maxie, and thinks Faison tried to shoot him, but she really doesn’t know.

Maxie asks what Peter is doing at the hospital. He thought she might need support, but she says Nina came with her. He says Nina has been way protective, and he doesn’t want to intrude. Maybe they shouldn’t tell her. In the most perfect soap timing of all, Nina is suddenly there, and says – let’s all say it together – don’t tell me what? I laugh.

Nelle asks if Ava is advising her to back off, but Ava says she’s advising other tactics. She’s living under Michael’s roof. Nelle says until Carly convinces him to show her the curb. Ava tells Nelle it will just make Carly look bad. Sit back, and let Carly do her job for her. Nelle says she can’t let Carly take away Michael and the baby, but Ava asks why rock things when she’s close to getting everything out of the way? Nelle says she’ll have everything when Carly is out of the way.

On the balcony, Mike tells Sonny that everyone is looking at him funny, like he’s the only one not in on the joke. Sonny says everyone is working together. Mike says, to sign away his independence. Sonny says it just allows them to take care of him when he can’t take care of himself, and that day is going to come. Unless Mike is afraid to trust him. Mike says Sonny knows better. He’s afraid the day will come when he doesn’t know anything. The way Sonny sees it, is when that day does come, he’ll either face it alone or not. They’re all he has, so let them take care of him. He’d do the same for them. Mike starts to cry. Sonny cries. I cry. This guy is killing me.

Carly wishes they’d been more prepared. Stella asks how you prepare someone to lose control of their life? How do you prepare for a family member disappearing before your eyes? It takes its toll, but by doing this, they’re taking effective action. They’ll help Mike get his ducks in a row, clean up his finances, and walk him through the long-term care decisions. She leaves to get some brochures from her car. Michael reminds Carly that he’s there; they don’t have to handle it alone. Carly says he has a baby on the way, and the baby’s mother to deal with. She’s sure Nelle is milking it for all it’s worth. He tells her that she’ll be happy to hear he has a date, but don’t expect wedding bells. She says Nelle will lose it when she finds out, but he thinks maybe it will help her understand that, aside from the baby, they have separate lives.

Elizabeth tells Jordan that she told Franco not to come home, but he missed his art therapy appointments, and no one has seen him. Jordan tells them that Jim is involved in another matter that she’s trying to connect him to. Sam asks if it could be a link. Jordan says find Franco and Drew, and talk to them. She’s not going to assign a detective to find two grown men. Sam says she guesses this means they’re on their own. Jordan tells them to be careful when it comes to Jim. Don’t trust a word out of his mouth. Elizabeth and Sam look at each other.

Nelle takes out the scarf like Morgan is wearing in his profile picture. She messes it up, putting mud on it. She cuts her hand open with a pair of scissors, and puts her blood on it. She says this will hurt Carly more than it hurts her.

Stella brings in the brochures, saying they might not need them for some time, but they all have resources for Alzheimer’s care. Mike comes back in, and picks up the paper. He signs it, using Michael’s back as a board. He tells Michael to do them both a favor. Live a long, full life, but don’t get old. Everyone smiles.

Sonny thanks Stella for her patience. She says he’s the one who made the effort. Sonny says it was relatively painless. Stella tells him they got through it, but the hard part starts now. Stella says, it’s a hard road, and she’s referring to him. The confusion and feeling of powerlessness; the unreliable memory will bring up things he thought were buried for good. She says support is available, and Sonny says he’ll be fine. Stella says he’d rather die than accept help; she’s met his kind before. She tells him that Alzheimer’s bends to no one’s will, not even his. He can’t help his father if he can’t help himself. He should take support when it’s given.

Elizabeth tells Sam that Franco isn’t the only person who doesn’t trust Jim. She thought something off; if only she hadn’t been distracted. If only she was here. I’d punch her. Saying this after she couldn’t wait to tell Elizabeth what Jim had said, and acting like it was the gospel truth. Elizabeth says she’s coming with Sam, but Sam says she works alone. She said that to annoy me even more, since she followed Elizabeth there. Elizabeth says they don’t have to like it, but they’re on the same side. Sam says once they find Franco and Drew, she’s on her own.

Nina asks Peter and Maxie what the big secret is. Maxie says they might as well tell her. Peter was there to talk to the doctor about getting a vasectomy. Nina says Crimson is doing an article on them, and he says that’s what started him thinking about it. Nina tells him they’re doing before and after interviews, but he says that he decided it wasn’t for him, so he’d be useless. Maxie says there’s plenty else he’d be good for, and Peter raises an eyebrow. Me too. What does she mean by that? Was that an innuendo?

Anna tells Andre that she did everything to cover her tracks, and failed. Then she paid the price. Whoever Henrik is now, she’s the one who put his life on course. She gave him up and walked away, never looking back. Andre says she didn’t know Faison found him, and she’s not responsible for how he grew up. The same way she’s not responsible if he has the gene. She says it’s on her to find him. When she does, she’ll figure out what comes next.

Griff looks over some charts, comparing them. He calls Brad, and says he needs a rush on a paternity test.

On Monday, Brad asks Griff why the test is so important, Sam and Elizabeth find Jim, and Jason wants to know why Anna is interested in finding Henrik.

👪 Tonight, on Relative Success with Tabatha, Tabatha tackled a real estate office. Sadly, the married couple who ran the business decided it was time to call their relationship quits, but on the upside, the business made a huge turnaround. Tabatha might have had only half the success, but it’s good to show the viewers that you don’t always get a completely happy ending.

General Hospital

Maxie doesn’t know what she was thinking, bringing Peter along. He has other things to do, like run a company. Peter says he volunteered. The company will be fine. He wonders if she’s changed her mind, but she says she hasn’t. She asks him not to tell Nina; she might freak out.

Meanwhile, Nina is already in Kim’s office. She has a question about pregnancy.

Maxie tells Peter if Faison had a 50% chance of having the disease, and so did Nathan, that brings her baby’s chances down to 25%, which is practically nothing. Peter says she has to deal with the facts. She tells him that’s easy for him to say, when he doesn’t have to worry about it. Jason is wandering around, and Maxie says she never got a chance to introduce them. So was Henrik wearing a mask the whole time at the clinic?

Mike says that Sonny wanted him to come for a visit, so he came for visit. That’s all. He’s not moving in.

Franco and Elizabeth kiss. He’s glad she’s okay. She thinks it’s weird that Jason and Sam were the ones who rescued him. He says irony aside, he’s glad they didn’t get hurt. Elizabeth can’t wait to hear the whole story. She tells him that he should check on his dad. He was pretty out of it, but did manage to say he was sorry Franco’s secret kept him from their wedding day.

Sam tells Drew they have to talk when they get home, but he says they should talk now. Jim comes out of the elevator, and says he’s glad he caught Drew. He hopes he’s not interrupting anything important, but Drew says it’s not a good time. Sam tells him that they need to get home. Drew tells Jim that his wife almost died at his Charles Street site. Jim wonders what she was doing there, and Sam says saving someone trapped in the trailer. Jim asks, who? and Drew says, Franco.

Franco tells Elizabeth not to take stock in anything Scotty has to say. She says Scotty told her that Franco loved her, and felt awful that his secret kept him away. She’s just glad he’s okay. He says if he hadn’t gotten sidetracked by the earthquake, he would have been there on time. She says clearly something is eating him up, and don’t pretend. He asks if it would be okay if he didn’t tell her. She asks if they’ll be okay if he doesn’t.

Nina tells Kim that she was pregnant in her early 20s. Kim says she read Nina’s history of complications. Nina says that’s a nice way of saying she was in a coma, and the baby didn’t make it. She was told she could never get pregnant again. Kim says she’s sorry, but Nina says she moved on and came to terms with it. She’s now a stepmother to an amazing girl; life has a way of working out, and she’s very lucky. Her sister-in-law just lost her husband, Nina’s brother Nathan, and he’ll never see his baby. Kim is sorry for their loss. Nina says she’s heard great things about Kim, and maybe she can look at her case with fresh eyes. There have been advances in reproductive medicine, and she’s wondering if there’s any chance she could get pregnant again.

Peter says he was in the room when Jason broached the subject of Nathan’s interview to Lulu. Maxie wonders how that happened, since he doesn’t work there. He’s usually oblivious of the media, unless he’s hiding from it. Jason says he was hoping to draw out Faison’s son, Henrik.

Mike says he always loved Port Charles. Sonny has done well, but it’s too big for his taste. Brooklyn is more his style. He’s at home there; it’s where he belongs. He has to go back. He’ll say his goodbyes now, and get a head start in the morning. Sonny tells him to hold on. He’s starting to think Mike has a problem with him. Mike says, no, and Sonny asks why he’s in such a hurry then. Why is he so anxious? Mike asks why Sonny is anxious for him to stay. He tells Sonny to say it. He doesn’t think Mike can hack it on his own.

Nina was wondering if there have been any recent breakthroughs, but Kim says she’s not aware of any that would help Nina’s situation. She wishes there was something she could do, and Nina says it was worth a shot. She’s still lucky; she has an incredible family. They could have used some good news. Kim asks if she’s getting enough rest. Nina says she’s just going through the motions, and doesn’t know what’s real. She’s trying to keep it together for her family.

Maxie asks Jason what he’s going to do to Henrik, and Jason says first he has to find him. She says he has Spinelli, and they’ll track him down, but then what? Jason says he’s going to ask why Henrik kept him live, and why he was kept prisoner at the clinic for five years. Maxie wonders if he’s going to ask if Henrik was in on Faison’s kidnapping plan. Jason says he talked to Faison, and he seemed angry that Henrik didn’t kill him. She says he may have been lying, and Jason says, anything is possible. Maxie says if Henrik wasn’t in on the plan, he didn’t do anything to hurt her, and it wouldn’t be fair to hurt him. But if he was helping Faison, she wants to make him pay.

Mike says Sonny thinks he’ll make a mess of things if he’s on his own. He gets respect in his neighborhood, and he has responsibilities. Sonny says he talked to Caruso, and all that ended after the last mix-up. Carly says she’d welcome a chance to spend more time with him. He says she’s the one who told his girlfriend to ditch him. Carly says she’s sorry if she spoke out of turn, but don’t let her mistake ruin anything; his family is here. He says he’ll visit more often. Sonny tells Mike that he’s not himself. He doesn’t want him cooking dinner, and burning down the apartment. Mike says, why? It will get his deadbeat dad out of his life for good.

Elizabeth tells Franco that they talked about secrets. If they get married, they have to trust each other, whatever they’re dealing with. Franco says at some point, his past will be too much, but she says that hasn’t happened yet. He doesn’t know how she does that; it turns his stomach. She says whatever he tells her, she can roll with it. She knows his struggles. She doesn’t always agree with his methods of dealing with things, but she’s seen him confront his demons and put them behind him. She loves him, and continues to believe in their love. Franco flashes back to Jim saying that one day Elizabeth will lose faith. Franco says he does believe. That’s why he came to the church where she was waiting. She says, where she knew he’d show. They agree not to let the past get in the way, and embrace.

Jim tells Sam he must have just missed them. Sam says, he was there? Jim says he and Franco were both thrown, and when his head cleared, he ran to call for help. By the time he came back, they were gone. Jim is impressed that Sam saved Franco, and she tells him that Jason was with her. She wonders why Franco was there instead of at his wedding. Jim says there’s something they need to know about Franco.

Sonny asks, if he wants to get rid of Mike, why is he trying so hard to get him to stay? Mike says they’ll be telling him what to do, and track his every move. They’ll lock the door and throw away the key. It’s revenge, plain and simple. Sonny wants to him get back because he left Sonny’s mom. Sonny says, wrong. Does Mike think he wants to see his dad deteriorate little by little? Mike says nobody is asking him to be a hero. Just let him go.

Kim tells Nina there are advances all the time. She can always hope. Nina says she’s trying to find balance with hope and self-indulgence. She has a stepdaughter to fill the emptiness in her heart, and she needs to focus on her upcoming niece or nephew instead of a pipe dream. Kim tells her not to hesitate to reach out. Nina leaves the office, and sees Maxie and Peter.

Franco busts into Scotty’s room, startling him. He asks why Scotty is so jumpy, and Scotty says he thought it was Epiphany. He complained about the chipped beef, and she threatened to take his button away. Franco wants to know why Scotty sabotaged his future with Elizabeth.

Elizabeth sees Jason. He asks if Jake is okay, and she says the boys thought the earthquake was epic. He guesses it depends on your perspective. She says they were with Bobbie, and it was fine where she lives. He says he was at the Quartermaine’s. A few things got broken, and that was the worst of it. She tells him the boys have off from school. She would tell him to stop by, but doesn’t think Jake is ready. Jason understands; He just wanted to make sure Jake was okay. Elizabeth thanks him for the both of them for saving Franco. He says, honestly, if it had been up to him, he would have left him there.

Drew tells Jim to talk. He says Franco came to him, hyped up. He said he remembered something, and wanted Jim to confirm what he did to Drew. Betsy gave him away because of Franco. He pushed Drew down a flight of stairs, then laughed. A kid young as he was, tried to kill him. Please don’t tell me they believe anything this jerk has to say.

Mike tells Sonny, let’s make it easy. He’ll go home, they go back to their lives, and pretend this never happened. Sonny says until he gets a call about Mike walking down Neptune Avenue in a bathrobe. Mike says, who cares? It’s by the beach. He says Sonny is worried he’ll embarrass him. What else is new? He’s always been embarrassed by Mike. Carly tells Sonny to back off. She tells Mike that they would love for him to stay, but can’t stop him from going. Sonny says unless a judge says he’s not competent. Carly says they’re not doing anything. He’s welcome there any time. Sonny says he’ll make sure his people look after Mike, and Mike says now Sonny is palming him off on strangers. He tells Sonny not to hire anyone. He’ll get along fine with Tammy’s help. Carly asks if that’s a friend of his, and he says that’s his girlfriend, Tammy Hanson. Carly says she moved away a long time ago. Mike says they live together. He thinks about it, and says not Tammy; it’s Mary. Sonny says, it’s Rita.

Nina says Maxie didn’t have an appointment today. Maxie says she wasn’t expecting to see her. Kim tells Maxie and Peter that she’ll be right back, and to on in. Nina follows them, and tells Maxie that she thought they’d synced their calendars. Maxie says they did, but it was last minute. She just needed a test done, and she ran into Peter, who insisted on coming so she wasn’t alone. Nina asks what test, and Maxie says an amniocentesis. Nina asks if the baby is okay, and Maxie says that’s what they’re there to find out.

Drew says, so Franco tried to kill him when they were kids, around two or three years old, and Jim says he saw it. He happened to be watching them. Betsy went to the market, and he turned his back for half a second. When Betsy came home, she was horrified, and made up a cover story. The incident made her realize that she couldn’t keep both of them. What if Franco hurt him again? So, she decided to give him away. She knew he’d be okay on his own, but Franco was a detriment to himself and others, and she’d keep trying to fix him. Sam asks why he didn’t say anything before, and he says he felt guilty. If he’d kept a better eye on them, it wouldn’t have happened. He’d thought Franco had forgotten, but when he remembered, Jim knew he hadn’t changed a bit.

Franco knew Scotty would never play the role of a doting father. Scotty says a stab in the back is better than a severed artery. He was bleeding out at the church. Franco says, then you call 911, not blab private business. Scotty says he was in shock. Franco says Scotty doesn’t get to speak for him unless he’s on retainer. Scotty gets it. He’s glad Franco is alive, and Franco says he’s glad Scotty is too. Scotty asks where he was.

Jason tells Elizabeth that Sam was at the Quartermaine’s and wanted to check on Drew. They found Mike, who said someone was trapped. Sam took him while Jason went to search. Elizabeth tells him that Sam left Mike with her at All Saints, and to thank her. She’s glad Sam made it back. He says she found him, along with Franco pinned under a cabinet. He was going to leave him, but Sam wouldn’t let him. She’s the one who saved Franco’s life.

Nina tells Maxie that she could believe Faison had a brain disease, but Nathan? Maxie says there was a 50% chance Nathan would have it, and he’d want her to check the baby. Nina asks why Maxie didn’t tell her, and Maxie says she didn’t want to worry her. Nina says it’s her job to worry, and Maxie’s job to carry the baby to full term. They’re in this together.

Mike asks what happened to Rita, and Carly tells him that she said she wanted to be by herself. She says she thought she told him, and he says he would remember. She tells him it must have slipped her mind. Rita cares about him, but wants to be by herself. Mike says, who could blame her? She’s a nice lady, and they had a good run. She didn’t sign up for what’s happening to him. Sonny says he’s sorry, and Carly has an idea. Since things aren’t working out with Rita, why doesn’t he stay longer with them? He’s already a big help around the house. He says it’s not his place; it’s his son’s and Sonny might not like it. Carly tells him not to be silly. The thing about families is that stuff comes up, then it gets better.

Scotty says, Jim was there when Drew took a header? Franco says when he confronted Jim, he said he was supposed to be watching things. It got quiet, and he checked on them. He saw them on the stairs, and Franco pushed Drew. He was smiling when he did it. Scotty says it doesn’t add up. Franco says there’s something Jim isn’t saying. He knows Franco knows something. That’s why he left him in the trailer. Scotty says Jim didn’t want him to make it. He would have been a goner if Sam and Jason hadn’t shown up.

Elizabeth tells Jason if they hadn’t saved Franco, she and Jake would be grieving for someone they love. Jason says that’s what Sam said; it wasn’t worth her or Jake’s grief.  He says he can’t change what Franco did, so he’ll have to try and accept it, and move on. Elizabeth says he can do more than that. He can consider the possibility of redemption.

Jim says he told Franco that he remembered change came over him, and Franco threatened him. He told him not to breathe word about it, especially to Drew. Drew says, or what? Jim says he didn’t ask; Franco’s eyes said it all. He remembered that look from when Franco was a kid. At that moment, he realized Franco hadn’t changed. Now he’s marrying that nice woman with the beautiful kids. He tracked Drew down, since he’ll know what to do. Jim leaves, and I get the feeling Drew isn’t completely buying this. I hope not. Jimbo was being a tad dramatic too.

Drew tells Sam if it’s true, than something needs to happen. He’s going to take care of this. He walks away, and Sam calls after him, asking what he’s going to do.

Kim says she’s ready, and Maxie says Nina is staying. Nina walks Peter out, and he says he hopes he didn’t overstep. She says she’s sure his intentions were pure, but he is Maxie’s boss. In this age of enlightenment, it’s best he keeps it professional. He says of course. He sees Nurse Deanna, and asks if she knows of a doctor who can give him a full genetic workup.

Franco tells Scotty he can’t worry about Jason. He’s going to hate him forever. Sam wouldn’t let Jason kill him, so he considers it a win. He needs to focus on Elizabeth, and set a new date. Scotty thinks they should do everyone a favor and elope. Franco says first, he has to figure out this things with Jim. Scotty says don’t tell Elizabeth, but are the rings insured?

Mike supposes he can try living there for a bit, and see how works out. Carly says, great. Michael and Dante will be happy. Mike says he’s tired, and asks Sonny to tell Caruso he’s been delayed, and might not make the drop-off on the dot. Sonny says he’ll tell him, and Mike says, but he’ll be there. He goes upstairs. Sonny looks even more tired than Mike.

Drew finds Franco. He wonders if Franco is the man who saved his life, or the guy who tried to kill him.

Elizabeth tells Jason that Franco wasn’t in control, but he’s still sorry. Every day he tries to be better and make amends. Jason says he found Michael in his prison cell, raped by a man that Franco sent. He watched as Franco carried out a naked Sam, and made them think he had raped her. He can’t consider the possibility. He let him live, and hopes he gets what he deserves. Elizabeth leaves, and Sam asks if everything is okay. Jason says everything is the same. Elizabeth sees Franco one way, and he sees Franco another. Sam asks if it wasn’t enough that they saved his life. Jason says he told her the truth; he was going to leave him there, and she wouldn’t let him. Sam says don’t make her sound so noble. She didn’t want to keep the secret. In the end, it’s not worth it. Sam says she still hasn’t told Drew that she loves him. Elizabeth hears.

On Monday, Mike has to make decisions, Ava hopes to get a more permanent arrangement with Avery, and Drew tells Franco that he’s going to stop hiding things.

🙆 Tabatha & My Digression of the Week

I’m loving Relative Success with Tabatha. She’s one of those people like Gordon Ramsay, with a hard exterior, but extremely caring on the inside, who can wear as many hats as you can stack on their heads. I love a business improvement show, and so far, Tabatha has perfected a jewelry business, a gym, a deli, a pizzeria, a design team, and a restaurant. The twist here being that every business is family owned and run, I’m amazed at how diplomatic Tabatha is, although at least once she’s had to remove herself from the room before saying something she’d regret.

While I’ve never had first-hand experience being part of a family business, I can tell you this much – you do not want to work for one. My post high school job before moving to NYC, was working for an Army/Navy store that was family run, and they all worked there in some capacity. The main owner, and patriarch, was a great guy, but he was hardly ever around, mostly working in another branch of the store. His oldest son and daughter-in-law, however, were always around, and always fighting. Showdown in aisle 13! They weren’t shy about sharing every detail, and you didn’t even have to ask. It did have its perks though. We got massive discounts, and they had very cool stuff. I still have some of the clothes I bought there. I also went out with the owner’s younger son once. Only once not because we didn’t click, but we both moved. Although the date did have a couple of awkward moments. We went to see The Man Who Fell to Earth at the arthouse cinema, and he forgot his wallet. We went back to his house to get it, and of course I had to go to the bathroom. And of course his father came home in the meantime. After I was living in the city, and my absent-minded date was in pilot school in Florida we wrote back and forth a bit. In one of the letters he sent, he told me about a subway token he’d found on the beach there. He was including it, since I could use it more than he could, but there was no token in the envelope. A day later, I got a note from him, along with the token, saying, does this remind you of another time?

General Hospital

At the MetroCourt, Carly sees Nelle eating with Monica and Michael, and wonders what she’s up to. Josslyn brings in the dress Carly ordered for her. It’s not what they ordered. We never saw what they ordered, but it is kind of hideous. Although I’m thinking, since it’s an alternative dance, the drag queens might like it. There’s a note saying the dress was out of stock, and here’s something better, signed Brenda. Carly says she did it just to spite her. Josslyn says she can’t wear it. She’s telling Oscar they’re not going. Carly tells her not to do that, and says mom always comes through.

Nelle thanks Monica for including her. Monica is glad she and Michael are being civil, and is sure they agree the best thing for the child is if the parents on the same page

Scotty meets Franco, who got to Kelly’s early to stress eat. He needs to ask Scotty something, and Scotty tells him to spit it out. Franco says it’s about his wedding. He needs for his father to come through for him. Scotty says he’s not paying for wedding, but Franco wants Scotty to give him away.

At the hospital, Elizabeth asks Drew if he isn’t supposed to be on his honeymoon. He says there was a change of plans. Can she get him in to see Faison?

Sonny asks Anna if she’s slept, and she says, no; she had a lot of forms to fill out. Sonny says he hopes they bury Faison, and Anna says he’s in luck.

Jason comes by Aurora, but Sam says Drew is at the hospital. He wants to talk to Faison. Jason says, too late; Faison is dead. These people are seriously messing with me this week.

Monica leaves for work. Nelle asks if Michael meant what he said, or was it for Monica’s benefit. He says the more they cooperate, the better it is for the baby.

Carly promises Josslyn that they’ll find something. If it’s not in Port Charles, they’ll go to NYC. She’s sending the dress back with her own note. Josslyn steps away, and Carly gets a call from Sharon. She tells Sharon that she wanted to dig up dirt on Nelle, but decided to let it go. She listens, then says it didn’t come up on the initial report, and asks Sharon to continue.

Franco says he’s giving Scotty a chance to compensate for all the T-ball games Scotty missed in his youth. Scotty tells Franco to calm down. Franco says he doesn’t need Scotty’s blessing, or his arm. Scotty asks if Franco doesn’t think the wedding will happen. Franco wonders why invest anything if it’s just going to fall apart. Scotty says he can’t keep up with him. He tells Franco that his own father always gave it to him straight, and he thinks the only person doesn’t believe in Franco is Franco. Why torture himself with the bad seed business? He needs to drop it.

A surgeon tells Doc it’s highly unusual. Doc says the WSB signed off on it, and Anna agrees his interest in the case is well-founded. They go into the morgue; Doc carrying a jar.

Sonny tells Anna it’s too bad it took so long; much of Anna’s pain could have been avoided. Anna says it’s what he wanted. He asks if Maxie knows. Anna says she hasn’t talked to Maxie, but she told Robin, and they talk all the time. She says Maxie is devastated. Sonny says that kind of grief makes you lost, and you can’t find your way. He asks Anna what’s the other reason she’s there. Now that Faison is dead, she wants to know Sonny’s intentions.

Elizabeth tells Drew that Faison went into cardiac arrest, and there was no way to revive him. Drew says he’s faked his death before. She says the WSB ordered an autopsy. He’s really dead. Really? A major villain, and fan favorite (also mine), and we didn’t get to see it? Really?

Jason tells Sam that Faison died of complications from the gunshot wound. Sam says that means Jason killed him. Good. He got what he deserved. Faison took him away from her and Danny, took everything away from Jason, took Jason’s chances, and took whatever chance at life they had together. She hates him for that, and is glad he’s dead. Jason – a man of few words – says, him too.

Nelle tells Michael that Monica is taking her shopping for the baby, and asks if he wants to join them. He says he has to go to work. Carly calls him over. He tells her that he worries about her charging into things, and she says she didn’t ask Faison to take her hostage, and Jason was there. She’s sorry he was too late to save Nathan. Michael says that Dante called to tell him how much he means to him. Carly says when something horrible happens, it sweeps away the petty things, and shows you what really matters; family matters. She says this is her roundabout way of saying she found out something about Nelle.

Scotty tells Franco he doesn’t know if he pushed Drew or he fell. Franco says Betsy sent Drew away to protect him from something. It’s not a huge intellectual leap to figure out that he might be it.  Franco tells Scotty about Doc’s study regarding people who are capable of violence, and what makes them tick biologically. Scotty calls it hogwash. He tells Franco that if he thinks he’s crazy, he’s got nothing on Doc.

The surgeon pulls back the sheet to reveal Faison. He prepares to open Faison’s skull.

Sonny tells Anna that he wants to find Faison’s son. He reached out by email, but the account for PK Sinclair has been disabled. It looks like he doesn’t want to talk to them anymore.

Elizabeth tells Drew that he can live his own life going forward. Drew says that’s the plan.

Scotty tells Franco to forget about it. He has enough to worry about with the wedding. He says, what father would let his son down? He won’t walk him down the aisle, but wants Franco to make him best man. He has trouble with the father/son dance thing. Franco suggests the Macarena.

Sam guesses she’s indirectly responsible for bringing Faison there. She tells Jason it’s her publication that ran the article. Lulu wrote the article, but she put Peter in charge. He nearly got shot, but at least he got closure. He went to the hospital to confront Faison. Jason says he talked to Faison too, and Faison told him why he replaced him with Drew. Sam asks if Jason believes him, and Jason says it made sense. Faison’s mind control wouldn’t work on him, so he gave Jason’s skill to someone he could control. She wonders how he found Drew, and Jason says he was researching a SEAL team, and saw Drew’s face. He took Drew, and took him, and they know the rest. Sam says, it’s just that random. Faison might not have found him or taken Jason, and their lives would be completely different right now.

Nelle sees Josslyn, and says she hasn’t seen her in a while. Josslyn says things have been tense between Nelle and her family, but Nelle says they’re working it out. Nelle tells Josslyn that they’re cool; they share a kidney. Since she and Michael are having a baby, they actually are family. She asks if Josslyn is ready to be an aunt. Josslyn gets excited, and Nelle asks how things are with Oscar. Josslyn says they’re supposed to go to a dance, but there’s been drama over her dress. The one she tried to get is sold out. Nelle asks if it’s the one from the November Crimson, and Josslyn shows Nelle a picture of it on her phone. Nelle says she can’t believe it. She got it after working a runway show. She tells Josslyn it’s hers, since they’re practically sisters.

Carly tells Michael that Nelle spent a year in a mental hospital. He asks if she’s still investigating. She says that Sharon called her, and told her that Nelle had a nervous breakdown after Zack died. Michael says he’s known it for months, and Carly asks if Nelle volunteered the information. He says no. He thought he could help her more if he knew what she was going through, and he asked her about it. She said it was a painful time. She was dealing with a lot, and eventually broke. Michael says it doesn’t concern her, but Carly says he concerns her. He says it’s his choice who to get involved with, and she says he’s too forgiving. He says the one person who has no choice is the baby. The baby is going to have to live whatever life he’s made for them. He wants to get along for the baby’s sake. What’s bothering me here, is that Sonny has a mental illness, as did Morgan, and Carly is acting like Nelle committed a crime.

Jason tells Sam that he got no information on Faison’s other son, Henrik. Sam says he tried to make a deal with them. If they helped him escaped, he’d tell them where Henrik is. She wishes they’d taken him up on it. He could have wound up having a heart attack anyway, and they could turn his body over to the WSB and laugh. Jason doesn’t think she’s the type who would stand over someone and laugh. He knows her. Sam has no idea how to grieve for Maxie. Maxie is grieving for Nathan, and she couldn’t stop thinking about it. How you try to fall asleep, but don’t want to because you dream it’s all been a horrible mistake. You’re laughing and smiling, and holding each other. Everything is fine, but you wake up, and live the nightmare again. Sam got the miracle. Maxie won’t. She’ll never open her eyes and see Nathan again the way Sam saw Jason that night on the pier.

Franco (omg, I originally wrote Todd by mistake) goes to the hospital, and sees Elizabeth. She asks if his dad is giving him away. He says gender reversal isn’t Scotty’s thing, but he’s going to be best man. He asks her about Doc’s brother being the inspiration for his work. Elizabeth says it’s personal and painful, but he channeled it into something good. Franco says Scotty doesn’t agree, and Elizabeth says that’s for personal reasons.

The surgeon says Doc got what he came for. Doc looks at the brain floating in his jar, and says he certainly did.

Anna wonders how Henrik is at fault for keeping Jason alive. Faison ordered him to kill Jason. He could have done that, and saved himself a lot of trouble. He chose not to, and Sonny owes him for that. Sonny asks if she doesn’t see the parallels. Robin was kept alive, not because the Cassadines were nice, but because she was useful. Henrik wants to keep Jason alive because he’s a useful hit man. He wonders what happened to Anna that she wants to defend him. She says she wants to debrief him with no interference. Sonny should consider himself done with it. Sonny says, like hell.

Nelle gives Josslyn the dress. Josslyn is thrilled that it’s the right one; she thought it was too good to be true. She’ll owe Nelle forever. Carly comes by, and asks what’s going on? Josslyn says she owes Nelle big time. Nelle says just send her the details and pictures. Josslyn tells Carly that Nell brought the dress they’d planned on getting.

Elizabeth says Scotty isn’t a reliable source when comes to Doc. Franco says he wants no part of it. Doc wants to fix him because he couldn’t fix his brother. Elizabeth says Franco had a brain tumor, Doc’s twin had other issues. Franco asks what shaped Ryan?

Jason thought Sam was too out of it to remember. She says she was, but does remember. She remembers being cold, and coughing up water, but she knew someone was holding her. She looked up, and saw him. We flash back to that. Sam says the strangest part is that she didn’t question it, or think why it was possible. She just knew he was there, and she would be okay. Jason always hoped she felt that way; that she knows he’s there, and will do whatever she needs. Drew arrives, and asks if there’s something he can do for Jason. Nice to see you too.

Anna tells Sonny that it’s WSB business. Sonny says, not if they get there first. He wants Henrik for his own. Anna says she doesn’t like his methods that go outside of the law. It was different when the ends justified the means, but this is an official matter. Stay out. Sonny says this isn’t a jurisdictional issue; it’s personal. Why?

Elizabeth tells Franco that what made Ryan tick is a question for Doc. He can help Franco, if he’ll let him. Think about what he might gain. Franco says what scares him is what he has to work through to be free.

Jason tells Drew that Faison is dead. Drew says he knows. Jason did get some answers as to why they were switched. Drew says, lucky him. Jason tells him that Faison’s mind control wouldn’t work on him because he has brain damage. Drew asks if Faison went looking for Jason’s twin? Jason says, no, but when he was researching a SEAL team, he recognized Jason’s face. He gave Drew to Helena, and Henrik was supposed to kill him, but wouldn’t. Drew says he didn’t know about the flash drive, and wouldn’t talk about Henrik. All he got was a bag of rocks.

Sonny says he’s known Anna for years, but she tells him not to presume he knows her and her motives. Sonny says he knows when someone is hiding something, and there’s more. Anna says, of course there’s more. She’s spent her whole life looking over shoulder, but she didn’t have to grow up with Faison. She wants to question Henrik, and offer him a path to a normal life, an attitude he doesn’t share. Henrik went after Jason once, and Sonny doesn’t want it to happen twice. Anna tells Sonny not to go after him. Sonny tells her not to threaten him; they’re friends. Anna tells him not to change this. He doesn’t want to be her enemy; not in this matter.

Franco walks into Doc’s office, and sees the brain on his desk, and Doc eating some take-out. Franco says, there’s a brain on his desk, and Doc says that’s for the study. He needs to get to the lab, but he missed breakfast. Franco asks if he cuts the brain out of all of his patients, and Doc says only the dead ones. He says it’s not unusual to examine the brain of criminal. Franco says this isn’t making him want to confide in Doc. Doc says he’s just trying to make him laugh. Now that he knows Franco is here to confide, how can he help?

Josslyn tells Nelle the dress is more beautiful than in the magazine. Carly suggests Josslyn put it in the office for safekeeping, and get going to school. Josslyn dances off on a cloud. Nelle says, they grow up so fast. Carly has to hand it to her; she doesn’t miss a trick. Nelle undermined her with Josslyn. Nelle says Josslyn needed the dress, and she just happened to have it. Carly says how convenient. Nelle says it’s convenient for Carly, since she saved her a trip to the city. Carly says she’s trying to break down Michael’s defenses, but it won’t work. Nelle says, it already is.

Nelle tells Carly that nursing a grudge will alienate Michael at the end. They’re going to adore the child, and it will bring them together. Carly says she sounds delusional, but it’s not surprising. She knew something was off about Nelle, something deranged. Sharon gave her the “ah-ha” moment. How crazy must Nelle be to spend a year in an institution? How crazy is she still? Ew. I’m not liking Carly. If you really think someone has a mental illness, this is what you do???

Sonny talks to Brick on the phone about monitoring IP addresses and such. He gets another call from Caruso. He asks what the news is about his father. Faison isn’t his father too, is he? Ha-ha!

Franco asks Doc if he gets confidentiality, and Doc tells him nothing leaves the room. Franco says let’s talk about the mind of a murderer. Most people get started in their teens, but he was precocious. His first attempt was at three years old. Doc tells his secretary to hold all calls, and cancel his appointments for the rest of the day.

The surgeon takes Anna to Faison’s body, and leaves her there alone. She tells Faison he died without ever knowing her secret.

Drew asks how close Jason is to finding Henrik. Jason says he agreed to a meeting, but Henrik never showed. Sam says maybe it was a set-up to distract them. Drew asks how long he’s known about Henrik, and why was he waiting to tell them?

Anna says her whole life, Faison terrorized her. She tried. She had to keep him in the deep recesses of her mind to keep going, and she did for all those years. He was grasping in the dark to get a piece of her soul to call his own, but he never got it. She picks up a scalpel, and cuts off a lock of his hair. She puts it in her pocket.

She says there he is, and she’s still standing. She made it. Does he want to know the kicker? There is a child out there. Their child. He sits up and grabs her, causing us all to have a collective heart attack. He asks if it’s Henrik.

The surgeon comes in and asks what is it? Everything is as it was before, and Anna says, nothing at all.

Tomorrow, Maxie dreams about Nathan, Ava warns Nelle, and Drew asks who Jason is working with.

😐 Pondering…

Okay, I have a couple of questions. If Doc is carrying Faison’s brain, did they take it out through his chest? We see autopsy wounds, but at no time does it look like his head is anything but whole. If Anna had Faison’s child, when did that happen? Was this before Robin? (Although it did cross my mind that she might be Henrik’s mother.) Is Faison really dead? Seriously, we wouldn’t have gotten a death scene? I understand no one is really ever dead. We never saw Nikolas bury Helena either. Speaking of which, we don’t know that Nikolas is dead. Maybe these people are all living on an island somewhere…

👗 This week’s Relative Success with Tabatha found her dealing with a family run clothing company called NewMe. As usual, the dynamics of the family affected the business itself. I once worked for a family run business, and the atmosphere was thicker than the wall of smoke at the Rocky Horror Picture Show in the 70s. Avoid at all costs. In this episode, it was the son having left the family’s Jewish faith that caused part of the problem, but when he left the business, they all got along much better, and the business had a plan and turned a profit. Tabatha also got them organized, and gave me ambition to organize my eBay business better. In my head anyway.

General Hospital

Ava looks at herself in the mirror and thinks about Carly insulting her. Julian stops by to wish her luck. She says she’ll take it. She’s out of options if the treatment doesn’t work. Julian says she’s still a knockout, and asks if it’s worth it. She says she’s been through hell, and it clarified things. He says he’s blamed a lot of people for his bad deeds, and the only way he found true peace was to take responsibility for his own actions. Maybe she should try it. She tells him that she has to make a stop before going to GH – she has some unfinished business.

Ava thanks Sonny for seeing her. She’s having a medical procedure, and you never know. She wants to see her daughter. He says Avery is with her mother, and Ava says Carly isn’t her mother. Sonny says Carly does what she doesn’t. Ava says that’s only because he won’t let her, but he says Kiki practically raised herself. Carly comes in with Avery, but Sonny directs them to the kitchen. He says his son is dead because of Ava. She tells him he has no right to punish her for what Olivia-J did. He says if he’d killed her after she murdered Connie, his son would still be alive. Carly comes back in, and Ava says they can’t keep her away forever, but Carly tells her when Avery finds out what she did, she won’t want anything to do with her. Ava says their house was built with blood money, and promises Avery will know her.

At the hospital, Kiki tells Griff that she tried to get some sleep, but had to be there for her mom. She’s concerned that Ava thinks it’s going to fix more than her face, but thanks Griff for pulling her back from the brink. They hug, and Ava walks in. Kiki tells her there’s still time to back out. She’s going through with the surgery and whatever the outcome is, she’ll accept it.

Ava lies on the table. The surgeon asks if she’s ready. He says when she wakes up she’ll be a new woman. He puts the mask on her, and tells her to count backward from ten.

Ava opens her eyes to Griff and Kiki. Kiki says it was successful. Ava wants to see, but she’s still woozy. She hears Griff say, here’s some lithium for the pain, but what he really said was ibuprofen. He says the bandages have to stay on overnight. He thinks she’ll be happy with the result, and says he can take her home when she’s ready. She’s ready now and asks if Kiki wants to come but she thinks they need alone time.

Time moves fast in Port Charles. The next morning, Ava looks at herself in the mirror. Griff asks if she’s ready. She wonders if it was for nothing, and doesn’t know if she can do this. He says they’ll do it together, and kisses her. He helps her remove the bandages and asks what she thinks. I think she looks pretty much the same minus that small blemish almost where you couldn’t see it. She says it worked, and Griff asks how she wants to celebrate the first day of the rest of her life.

At the MetroCourt of course. Sonny and Carly are also dining there. Ava says it’s been months since she was shamed away from the restaurant, and she’s done hiding. He tells her to get the drinks, and he’ll grab a table. She crosses paths with Laura, who says her face seems to have miraculously recovered. She hopes Ava’s appearance was worth selling her soul. Ava sees a woman go past, and follows her to the ladies’ room. Wow. The stalls are huge. There’s no one else there, and she wonders where the woman went. Carly comes in, and asks how dare she show her face there? Ava asks if she’s going to congratulate her on her recovery, but Carly says her son will never recover. Ava says she’s not going to continue to hide because Sonny can’t let it go. Carly says she’s not going to rest until the world sees Ava for the ugly soul she is. She leaves, and Ava gets a text from “Unknown,” saying they know who she is.

At Kelly’s, Ava complains about the portrait Franco painted. There are too many shadows, and she wants it to be about emerging from the darkness. The woman from the MetroCourt comes in, and picks up a to-go order. Ava follows her out, but she disappears again. Ava literally runs into Nina, and asks where the woman went. She keeps seeing her and getting texts. She asks if they’re from Nina, and asks why she’s sending them. Nina has no idea what Ava is talking about. Ava says sorry she doesn’t have a baby for Nina to snatch form her womb. Nina says she had a psychotic break, but she’s moved on, and doesn’t even think about Ava anymore.

Back home, Ava says someone is messing with her, but who? There’s a knock at the door. She opens it without looking through the peephole, which makes no sense whatsoever. It’s Morgan. He says he needs help. Is this whole thing a dream? Is Bobby in the shower? I’m guessing it is a dream, since the episode is focusing on one person, and every once in a while, the close-ups are a little odd.

Ava says this isn’t real; he’s dead. He says it’s real and it’s him. She takes him to the couch, and tends to a wound on his forehead. He tells her that he has a prosthetic hand to replace the one he lost in the explosion. She asks where he’s been, but he doesn’t know. He remembers taking a car, and got out to talk to Jason. Next thing he knew, fire was everywhere. He woke up in the hospital. His hand was gone, but he was alive. Ava says that means she didn’t lose him. She loves him so much. She says his injuries are new, and Morgan tells her that he couldn’t stay at the hospital. Someone is trying to kill him. He thought maybe it was the doctors, so he came there. Ava says the person who planted the bomb is in prison, and the doctors were trying to help him. They wouldn’t have known his diagnosis, and he needs his medication. He says he was a prisoner, and wonders if he’s making it up. She says sometimes it’s difficult to think clearly without his meds. He says he can’t trust himself. He was spiraling out of control before the explosion. She says it doesn’t matter. He’s alive, and they need to tell everyone. He says he screwed up. He tells her it wasn’t an accident, and someone is trying to kill him. He asks to stay there, and she says of course.

Ava wakes up, and sees Morgan on the couch sleeping. She says he’s really there. Kiki knocks on the door. She asks if Ava slept in her clothes, and Ava asks what she’s doing there. Kiki asks if everything is okay. Ava says she’s working hard on the show, and will see her later. When she’s gone, Morgan comes out, and Ava asks why he was hiding. He doesn’t know what he’d say to Kiki, and asks if she’s still with Dillon. Ava says he really loves Kiki, and he says with all his heart. Ava gets a series of texts from Unknown, saying they’re coming. They know who she is, and what she did. She tells Morgan she’s been getting weird texts. He needs to tell the family he’s alive. He asks what if they’re not at the house? She tells him not to worry. She knows how to tell everyone he’s back.

She brings Morgan to the gallery. She says half the town will be there tonight. Franco drops by. Ava stashes Morgan in the back, and Franco gives her the final portrait. She thanks him, and hustles him out. Morgan asks what’s going on? She wants to show everyone he’s alive, and that she’s changed. People will stop blaming her for what happened. She says he’ll hear things about her, but if he ever loved her at all, trust her.

Ava visits Carly. She says she has something important to tell her and Sonny. They need to show up at the gallery tonight; it will change everything. She tells Carly that she helped Jason escape. She’s done terrible things, but she’s becoming a different person. She needs them to be there tonight, and she’ll show them.

At the gallery, Scotty congratulates Ava, and makes a toast to her being back where she belongs. She sees the mystery woman serving drinks. She asks if Griff knows her, but there’s no one there. She tells him that she must be tired. Griff feels like she’s keeping him at arm’s length. She asks him to trust her and says everything will make sense soon.

Carly and Sonny come in. Sonny says it better be good, and Ava tells him to trust her. He says that will never happen after what she did to Morgan. She says Morgan is alive, and she can prove it. She calls to Morgan, and tells him to show them he’s all right. She insists he’s there. A woman comes out in a bloody dress and says, Hello, Ava. It’s Connie Falconari.

Ava doesn’t understand. She says Morgan was here, and Connie is dead. Connie says Ava would know. Ava shot her in cold blood, left her there to die on a cold floor, and she bled out slowly and painfully. Ava says Morgan was here, and Connie can’t be here. Connie says she dreamed him up to absolve herself, but she can’t. Just like Ava can’t absolve herself of killing her. Ava says she was protecting Julian, and Connie asks if that’s true, or was it because she told the world Kiki wasn’t a Quartermaine? She ruined Ava’s plans, so Ava murdered her. Ava refuses to be judged for the rest of her life. She says Julian abused his wife; Nina stole her baby daughter; and Valentin killed Nikolas right in front of her. She tells Sonny that bodies lie in his wake for the sake of his business. What makes him better than her? He says he knows who he is. He’s made bad choices, but she lied to everyone about what she is and what she’s done, and the worst part is she lied to herself. Connie says her lies are over. It’s time to face the truth.

Ava is alone with a light shining on her. Nina says Ava stole her husband. Laura says she betrayed Nikolas and Spencer by refusing to tell the truth. Connie says Ava shot her in cold blood, without conscience or remorse. Griff is there, and Ava says to tell them she’s changed; not just her face. Tell them there’s good in her. He says he thought there was, but after seeing this, maybe some souls can’t be saved. She asks if Kiki knows better. She’s Kiki’s mama, and loves her. Kiki says she’s jealous, and switched Morgan’s pills because she wanted him for herself. Ava yells, stop it!

She opens her eyes to see the mystery woman, who asks if she’s been getting the messages. She’s the one texting. Ava doesn’t understand; she doesn’t know her at all. The woman asks if she doesn’t recognize her own daughter. It’s Avery. Ava comes closer. She says it is her. How could she not see it? She hugs Avery, and says she loves her. She doesn’t understand how Avery is all grown up, and asks if she’s dead. Avery says no, but Morgan is, because of her. She took away the medicine he needed to be sane, and he died. She lies to everyone, but most of all to herself. Ava says that Avery’s father hates her, and kept her away. Avery says he was protecting her. Ava says Carly is wrong. Her soul isn’t ugly; she’s been cleansed by fire. Her new face will show everyone what Griff sees. Avery says Griff sees what he wants to see, to justify leaving the priesthood. Ava refuses to be defined by her past, and is going to move forward, like nothing ever happened. Avery says Ava claims to be terrified that Avery will never know her, but she thinks Ava is scared that she’ll see her for what she is. Franco’s portrait appears, with Ava’s face covered in scars, and suddenly, Ava’s face looks like it did right after the accident. Avery says, time to wake up. Griff tells Ava, welcome back.

At the apartment, Ava looks at herself. Griff thought she’d be thrilled. She says she is. She says he doesn’t judge by her past; he sees the real her. She tells him that she had a dream when she was under, and he says a lot of patients dream crazy things when they are. He wonders what it was about, but she says it’s not important. The only thing that matters is she’s been given a new lease on life, and she doesn’t want to waste it. She knows where he’s taking her.

Back to the MetroCourt. Carly sees them come in, and is like, no way. Sonny says he’ll handle it. He tells Ava that she’s not welcome there, and that she can eat somewhere else. She tells him that she chooses to eat there. They both have to live their lives, for better or worse. She goes to the bar, and the bartender puts a martini in front of her. She asks how they knew. It’s grown Avery, who says she knows who Ava is.

Tomorrow, Molly says she can take care of herself, Laura says all Jim cares about is the almighty dollar, and Alexis tells Ned she can’t support his campaign or platform.

Jewel tones is the wardrobe theme. No pigtails for Margaret tonight though. Teresa wants to make out with Andy, who says he’s a great kisser. I sometimes think he’s a closet heterosexual.

We flash back to the ladies’ business ventures. The restaurant, envy, Margaret’s shoe line. Melissa says she didn’t want Joe #2 taking on another job, but when he talks about the family, she gets soft. Melissa says nothing will ever come between her and Teresa again, and everyone agrees they’re solid this time. Andy asks Margaret about how Melissa is running the boutique, and Margaret says she’s on point. We also find out Margaret sometimes wears pigtail extensions. Andy points out that Betsey Johnson tweeted while watching the show, that she still rocks pigtails at 75, and I almost pass out that she’s that old. She’s one of my favorite designers. Siggy pisses me off early on, rolling her eyes and making faces when Margaret talks about hearing from Betsey personally. Excuse me for missing it, but what is wrong with her talking about this? Andy brought it up and um… this is a reality show where people’s real lives are watched and discussed.

Margaret is up, and we go down Memory Lane with clips of her life from this season. Andy asks if the kids have reached out. She says they watch the show, but no. She says she’d be there at the drop of a hat and would take crumbs. Andy brings up that there are three husbands named Joe who are also contractors. A viewer asks if Margaret sees that she should have kept quiet. Margaret thinks she can be offensive, but it’s her humor. She says she apologized to Siggy a million times, and the only thing Siggy said truthfully was that she wanted to destroy Margaret. Siggy says she’s an Israeli, and Margaret tells her to bring it on. Dolores says this isn’t going to go well. Not unless everyone suddenly decides to act their age. And by everyone, I mean Siggy. I’ve decided she’s the most annoyingly stupid woman on earth. Or at least on Bravo, and that’s saying a lot.

We see clips of everyone’s kids, so I take a nap. Then there’s some who-ha talk. Melissa’s phone rings. It’s Ramona Singer (!). Andy answers, and tells her they’re in the middle of the effing reunion. She says goodbye, and Andy tells Melissa to put it on airplane mode. A question is asked about discipline of Teresa’s girls. She says they’ve lost a lot, and nobody is walking in her shoes. Preach it! Andy outs Teresa about banning Melissa from visiting her in prison. She says she wanted to deal with the friendship when she got back. We see clips of how the family was affected when Teresa lost her mother. Andy says seeing her dad crying struck his heart. Mine too. Teresa says he goes to the cemetery every day. Andy wonders if she’s still going to blame Joe #1 for the year she lost when he gets back. She says he has a lot of making up to do, and it was therapeutic for her to get it out in her book. Andy asks if the others would stick around, should their husbands “go away.” Melissa says she’d give Joe #2 more hell. Teresa says there wasn’t a time she seriously thought of leaving. Andy asks if Joe #1 seems different, and she says he watches the show, and realizes he’s an a-hole. Andy brings up the possibility of him getting deported. Teresa says whatever God’s plan is, is what’s going to happen, and she’ll embrace it as best she can.

Ugh! Next is Siggy and Margaret. It started with the memorial thing, and how she and Dolores felt left out. Siggy says she brought Margaret in; where’s the respect? Siggy comes off looking like an airhead Mafia wife from a comedy starring Joe Pesci. Margaret’s best line: It’s draining; you’re fifty. Andy brings up Siggy selling the Soggy T-shirts, and she says she likes to take a negative and turn it into a positive. Teresa thinks both Siggy and Margaret went below the belt. Siggy claims she never starts it. Maybe not, but she’ll sure keep it going. Margaret says she didn’t realize they weren’t coming to the memorial, and it turned into a debacle like she had a nefarious plan to leave them out. Siggy thinks when she ordered the flowers, she should have called. A viewer says Siggy and Dolores are about as mean girls as you can get, but Siggy insists it’s just fighting back. Margaret says she can dish it and take it, but she did apologize. Siggy is on a roll, and won’t shut up, even though Margaret is trying to answer her questions. Margaret thinks Siggy blaming her behavior on menopause and having a hysterectomy is victimizing women. She says Siggy is abrasive on social media. Apparently, Siggy wanted to report Margaret to PETA, because she has a taxidermized bear in her foyer. Margaret points out that veal is a baby cow who is force fed. Siggy says if Margaret makes fun of her foyer, she’s going to do the same. Margaret says Siggy always takes things to the next level. This is unbelievably stupid.

Andy tells us because of unlikely friendship, Danielle came back to the Garden State. Danielle comes out, and even Dolores thinks she looks amazing. She does. Andy says this season must have been different for her, as compared to season two. He says he never thought they’d go from flipping tables to having each other’s back. We flash back to moments of their friendship, starting with the table and ending with Teresa’s apology to Danielle’s daughters. Andy reminds them about Teresa pushing him during the last reunion Danielle attended. Melissa takes accountability for stirring the pot, saying she genuinely liked Danielle when no one else did. She never saw anything that Danielle did wrong. Teresa says there was never any real ill intent. Danielle talks about her children having been affected by the things Teresa said, and at one point, they moved because of it. We find out Danielle had sex in the bathroom at the Gorgas restaurant, but she says she got permission. Alrighty then. Siggy says it was inappropriate and disgusting. Dolores says Teresa is a big girl, and if she wants a friendship with Danielle, it’s up to her, but if that changes, she promises not to hold it over Teresa’s head that she warned her. Yeah, right. She and Siggy are like, fourteen mentally, at most.

Here comes Cakegate. Andy says it led to tears, a never-ending feud, and a memorable therapy session. We see clips of the cake fight, and Siggy’s subsequent embarrassment of Melissa at her purse party. Siggy is insane. Siggy says a lot of thought, time, and effort went into the cake. Melissa says she understood why Siggy was upset. Melissa had no idea the cake was going to end up on her face, but when it did, she had fun with it. Teresa says she was upset that the bottom was plastic. Melissa says the name-calling was upsetting. Siggy acts like she had too much to drink, and doesn’t remember, and says she owns it. Margaret says that doesn’t make it right. Siggy says they hold her to a higher ground, but I think she means standard, and says it must be the kosher thing. What? A viewer asks about her calling out Melissa, and Siggy makes it sound like we missed something, didn’t see both sides, and she was just being funny. Melissa says Siggy tried to shame her, and she was embarrassed. Siggy says she was just trying to make a point and wanted her feelings acknowledged. Margaret says if someone did that to her, she’d be all sensitive about it. Siggy thinks Melissa should have had her back more. Melissa says it was a different Siggy than last year. Siggy apologizes if Melissa was embarrassed. Margaret points out the if – something I hate too – and Siggy says Margaret inserts herself where she doesn’t belong. Siggy says they shouldn’t overanalyze it, but Andy says it’s a reunion; they overanalyze everything.

Teresa says Melissa handled it well, and doesn’t think she would have. Melissa says she doesn’t like to be talked down to, and doesn’t think she deserved it. They talk about Siggy saying her IQ is 167. Siggy says she just made the number up, and Margaret says like she made up her career with no degree. Ouch! Siggy says she tried her hardest to bring friendships together, but she’s accepted it, and moved on. Andy asks Melissa if she understands why Dolores and Siggy insist on staying friends with Kim D. Melissa is baffled, saying Kim D tries to ruin businesses and families, and it’s not like they’re related to her. Dolores says if it hadn’t been a fundraiser, she wouldn’t have done it. Siggy says she knew Kim D five years before Melissa, and Melissa says, who cares? Margaret tells them that Kim D hurts the entire family, and it’s complicit to associate with her and defend her.

Andy says, guess what? She’s here! Teresa goes, blech, and the witch comes out. Teresa says she thought it was Real Housewives of New Jersey, not Tales from the Crypt. Kim D is like, ha-ha-ha, so funny. Teresa says if Kim D takes jabs at her family, Teresa will take jabs at her. Kim D says if Teresa messes with her, she’ll go back to jail – clink-clink! Teresa gets up.

Next time, Dolores and Danielle go at it, Kim D accuses Teresa of stealing, Siggy screams at Margaret, Teresa says Kim D is a madam (or magnum, as she puts it), and Danielle walks out. Now that Teresa has brought it up, Kim D does look like an old, washed-up madam. Like Sylvia Miles in that horror movie about the carnival. Oddly enough, she’s dressed like a nun next to the others.

If Loving You is Wrong

Eddie is shooting like a wild man, and Lushion punches him out. He asks if Eddie is crazy, and Eddie says Lushion knows he is. Larry says he’s a wild one, and he loves it. Eddie says he’s going to kill them, and Larry says he’s taking notes. Eddie tells them they have no idea what they’ve started. Larry says he’s going to break Eddie like a stallion, and that Eddie is really only a Shetland pony. Eddie says Larry is going to be in a box by the end of the week. He leaves, and Natalie asks what happened. Lushion tells her not to ask.

Stephen arrives on his motorcycle, and asks Lushion if everything is all right. Lushion says everything is under control, and thanks for showing up an hour late. Stephen tells Esperanza he’s not there because of Travis. He asks if she saw Eddie in his new get-up. She has a picture, and he wants to see it. She shows him her phone. He asks if Eddie is into this kind of stuff, but she says if he is, she never knew. He says it’s all over the station, and she says he’s going to have a rough day tomorrow. Stephen asks if he can meet Esperanza at her place, but she tells him to go home. He begs, and she tells him to stop. He says if he sees the porch lights on, he’ll come by. She says they’re always on, and it’s not the old West. She gets in her car, and calls him. She tells him not to flirt in front of the others again. She doesn’t want them in her business. He says, so now they have business? She says no, but her porch light will be on.

Ian tells Lushion Kelly isn’t good. He says representing her is a conflict, and Lushion has to find her a new lawyer. He can recommend someone, but it’s competition, and he has to run it by Larry. Lushion asks if Larry is into the S&M thing. Ian says he’s heard some things, but tries to stay away from that. He’s heard Larry and his wife throw wild parties though. Lushion says Larry had a run-in with a bad officer. Ian asks what he did. Lushion says he had him in a crazy position, and Eddie isn’t going to let it go. Ian says Larry is formidable and ruthless. That’s why he doesn’t know if he can do anything for Kelly.

Natalie says she’ll make something to help Kelly sleep. Kelly thanks her for everything. She doesn’t know if she’ll get through this, but Natalie says she will. She thanks Lushion, and he tells her to get some rest.

Stephen knocks on Esperanza’s door. She tells him to come in. She lounges provocatively in a lingerie ensemble. She asks if this is what he wants, and he says, yes ma’am. He says she knows he likes her. All the coffee he brings her at the station, and the flirting. He tells her he’s being respectful because of her, not Eddie. She says Eddie has run off every boyfriend she’s tried having. He asks if he’s her boyfriend, but she tells him she didn’t say that. They’re just two people who clicked. She loved that he didn’t run away, and he asks if that turned her on. She says he turns her on, and tells him to take his clothes off. She’s going to sleep with him when she wants to, see him when she wants to, and when she says it’s over, it’s over. He says he’ll take whatever she wants to give. She tells him to get on his knees.

Alex asks why Brad didn’t wake her up, but he says there was no need to. She wonders if he didn’t want to talk to her, and he says it’s nothing like that. She asks for a hug and kiss. He barely hugs and kisses her, and she thinks it felt forced. He asks what she wants. She says she didn’t go over there, and would like him to believe her. He says, okay. He tells her he’s going to wait outside for Marcie to bring the car back. He tells her he’s trying to get past it, but it’s not easy.

Esperanza says it’s time for Stephen to go. She tells him not to look at her strangely at work, and he feigns ignorance. He asks if she thinks she’s that good, and she says she knows. She says he’s okay; she’s had better. He doesn’t believe her, and says she smiles when she’s lying. He has a trained eye. She tells him not to leave his socks or little Stephen trinkets behind. She tries to keep her daughter out of the madness, but it’s getting harder. She tells him her daughter comes first, and she’s coming back today. She says when you deal with a sociopath like Eddie, you understand the need to be in control. He tells her to let him know when they can meet again. She tells him not to even acknowledge her at work today. He leaves, and she smiles as she makes the bed.

Ian calls Marcie. He says if everything goes well, he’d like to close this week. She says she’ll call the inspector. She asks what he knows about Larry. She asked him to rep her in the divorce, but she was at the house when the shooting happened, and he was there. He was drunk and strange. Ian says he’s an incredible attorney, but he can be out there. Marcie wonders if he’d break privilege. She told him something she hasn’t told Randal. Ian thinks she should talk to Larry about it.

Marcie calls Larry. Larry is sleeping, and Randal picks up. She idiotically starts the conversation with, I know you didn’t tell Randal I’m pregnant. Randal says, so you are, and she asks what he’s doing with Larry’s phone. He asks what she’s doing pregnant? She hangs up, and he calls back. He asks if she’s having the bastard’s baby, and she says she is. He asks if she’s taking it that far, and she asks if it upsets him. He hopes she has it, and she asks if he’s threatening her. He says she hasn’t been able to carry one before. She calls him a sick bleeped-out-word, and hangs up. She’s like, great.

Randal dumps a bucket of water on Larry, who jumps up like a cartoon character. Randal says, so she is pregnant; she just told him. He tells Larry to get out of his house. In the car, Larry calls Marcie. She’s like, wth? and asks if Larry told him. Larry says he was talking about Alex. She asks what kind of sick friends they are, and he says he’s sorry. She says he’s also fired. Bad day for Larry.

Randal sees Brad on the porch. He says Brad did it. Brad says what? and Randal says Marcie is pregnant with his baby. Brad says she is, and Randal says, good. Brad asks if Marcie told him, and Randal says don’t worry about it. Brad asks if it was Alex, and Randal says, it was. He asks when, and Randal says last night. Brad asks what time, but he doesn’t know. He claims she wants him back. Brad says he’s lying. Randal tells him to ask her, but Brad isn’t giving him the satisfaction. He says as a man, he’s telling Brad the truth. Brad says to get off his property. Randal says he’s on the sidewalk. He has a really funny look on his face, like he’s bummed. Brad says he’s tired of Randal. If he thinks the ladder was something, wait until what’s next. Brad says Marcie is coming to pick him up, and accuses Randal of putting sugar in her gas tank, calling him immature. He asks if it doesn’t get old, and Randal says he’s not done with this. He goes back home.

Lushion comes home and asks Natalie what time she went to bed. She says around four, but Kelly’s been up all night. He says that’s not good; she has to give her statement to the police today. She asks if anybody talked to Justice. Lushion says he doesn’t know if anything happened. Natalie wonders if Kelly can get off. He says if Ian was handling it, she would, but he has a conflict. His partner represents Travis and his church. He tells Natalie that Kelly has no money, and they’ll have to figure it out.

Kelly is sitting on the couch, and tells Lushion it’s a beautiful day; almost like nothing happened. She asks how Travis is, but they haven’t heard anything. He tells her he’ll call, but they have to go to the station. Natalie comes out and asks how she is, but Kelly doesn’t know. Natalie tells her it will be okay. Kelly starts to cry. Lushion insists that they have to go. Kelly says she hasn’t heard from Ian, and Lushion says they’ll call on the way.

Larry has a headache, and rightly so. Ian asks what he did last night, but he says Ian doesn’t want to know. Ian says they have a problem. Larry says shoot, but Ian says wrong word. Travis was shot last night. His parents want a press conference at noon. He asks if Larry realizes he’s not nineteen. Larry asks who shot him, and Ian says his ex-girlfriend. He was representing her before this, and they found strange evidence he was stalking her. Larry says it was the other way around, but Ian says Travis drove by her house 46 times in one day, and it gets worse. He hacked into her accounts, pretended to be her husband, and misrepresented her on several loans. He’s worse than his brother. Larry asks if the DA has it, and Ian says, not yet. Larry says then they bury it. Ian says she’s innocent, and Larry asks when they gave a sh*t about that? Ian tells Larry that he was representing her. Larry says now he’s not. Ian doesn’t want to let it get buried, and Larry says he’s too naïve. Travis’s parents and church pay them millions. It’s getting buried. He doesn’t want to hear about it, and Kelly needs another lawyer. He reminds Ian who owns this place. He’s owner and senior partner. If it falls in their lap, he’ll be upset. Ian says he’ll take care of it.

At the station, Kelly freaks about going into the interrogation room. She tells Lushion that she can’t do this again. He tells her to just breathe. She asks if he’ll wait with her, and he says he will. She says her lawyer’s not calling her back. He tells her not to say a word until she gets a lawyer. A man comes in, introducing himself as Tony Isaacs. Kelly says she’s not talking without a lawyer. He tells her that she’s under arrest for the murder of Travis Caine.

Next time, Alex insists she didn’t go over there, Larry tells Randal that he’ll sue, and Brad thinks about leaving.

🔎  Relative Success with Tabatha shows a lot of promise. Tabatha is tackling family businesses this time around. I love how much Tabatha looks like a pixie, and how she hasn’t really changed her style. I’m all for changing it up, but I also think if you find something that looks good on you, keep it. Tonight’s episode was about a large family of pizzeria owners. The father, and main owner, had to decide whether to go with an investor or hand the business over to the kids. Their need was consistent brand identity, and the kids were always at odds about how to run things. Tabatha’s recommendation was to go with the investor, who seemed to want to preserve the family legacy. In the end, the kids came together, and the father amicably parted ways with the investor. Tabatha told us that although she felt the investor was the way to go, the family changed her mind. That’s another thing I like about her, she’s someone who really does own it. She’ll stick to her guns and tell you what’s on her mind, but she admits it when she’s wrong and also keeps an open mind.
