What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Elizabeth looks at Epiphany’s photo on the memorial wall, and says, hello, my friend. I miss you, especially on a day like this. I’m about to start my first shift as head nurse. I’m excited and nervous, and could really use a no-nonsense Epiphany pep talk right now. Remembering your words that I’m the best choice for the job are almost as good… almost. But when I start to doubt myself – which is more often than I care to admit – I remember I was taught by the best, so I got this. I won’t let you down.

Molly thanks Dr. Navarro for seeing her and TJ on such short notice. TJ says, they realize their call is a little… Molly says, spur of the moment. The doctor says, it’s her pleasure, and asks how Molly is feeling since she started treatment for endometriosis. Molly says, better, thanks. She hadn’t realized how much pain she’d been in since the medication got rid of most of it. Unfortunately, there still is some. Dr. Navarro asks if she’s given any more thought to hormone therapy, and Molly says, actually, that’s why they’re here. If she starts hormone therapy, her periods will stop. So before that, they want to harvest her eggs. What’s their first step?

Carly tells Drew, they don’t have to do this. Call his lawyer, and tell him the deal’s off. He says, they already settled this, and she says, if by settling this he means he won’t listen to reason. He says he has the best reason in the whole world, and she kisses him. She says, don’t pin this on her, but he says he’d 100% rather do the time than see her do it, and they kiss again. He tells her that he’ll see her later.

Nina finds Ava in the park, and thanks Ava for meeting her. Ava says, of course (🍷). When Nina said she was going to come clean to Sonny, Ava thought Nina would be in a lot worse shape than she is. She wonders if Nina came to her senses and realized she’s better off without him anyway, but Nina says, no. It turns out she didn’t lose Sonny after all. Ava says, don’t tell her that Sonny forgave her for turning Carly into the SEC, but Nina says, she didn’t tell him. She was ready to tell him; she was thisclose. But she looked into his eyes and couldn’t say the words. Ava says, but what about Ned? Didn’t he regain consciousness yesterday? Nina says, yes, and Ava says, Ned knows what she did. It’s only a matter of time before he tells everybody the truth. Nina tells her, let’s just say Ned is no longer interested in clearing his name.

Elizabeth asks a nurse if Ned is still combative this morning, and she says, only when they forget to call him Eddie Maine. She feels so sorry for his family. At the reception desk, Amy says good morning to Portia, and apologizes for waking her. She thought the on-call room was empty. Portia says she wasn’t really sleeping, and Amy says she hopes the patient’s okay. Portia asks, what patient? and Amy says she figured one of Portia’s patients must have taken a turn for the worse. Why else would she be sleeping at the hospital? Elizabeth hears, and asks Amy to check on Mr. Pascal in 1013 to make sure he ate his breakfast. Amy leaves, and Portia says she’d better get started on her rounds. Elizabeth asks if she wants to talk about it, and Portia says, about what? Elizabeth says, yesterday was Curtis’s birthday, and she knows there weren’t any emergencies on the floor last night. So why did Portia sleep here instead of at home with her husband?

Carly goes to Sonny’s penthouse, and he asks if she’s okay. She sounded awful on the phone. Carly says she thinks Sonny should know that things are about to be resolved with the SEC, and he asks what she did. She says she didn’t. Drew did.

Dante lets Drew into the apartment, and Alexis is there. Drew says, it’s a nice surprise, and she hugs him. She says she was delivering one of Danny’s skateboards, and Sam said he was stopping by, so she thought she’d stay and say hello. He says, it’s always great to see her, and she says, same. Now that she’s said hello, she’s on her way out. Drew asks her to stay; this actually involves her, in a way. Sam asks what he wants to talk to them about, and he says he’s asked his lawyer to offer a plea deal to the SEC, and he has every reason to believe they’re going to accept. Dante asks what Drew offered them, and Drew says he’s going to have to pay a fine, and he’s also going to have to go to prison. Sam asks how long he plans on being in prison (like he decides), and he says, they haven’t accepted the deal yet, but his lawyer proposed six months. Sam says, that doesn’t seem like a good deal to her, and asks if it does to Alexis. Alexis says she wouldn’t recommend it if she were his lawyer, and Drew says his lawyer isn’t crazy about it either, but he’s made up his mind. (Is it me? It doesn’t sound that bad considering it’s usually like, two years.) Dante asks if Diane suggested the same thing for Carly, and Drew says, no. Sam says, of course (🍷) she didn’t. Drew’s going to prison so Carly doesn’t have to. Drew says he’s weighed all the options, and she has to trust him that this is the best possible solution. Sam asks what Carly says about this, and he says he was just hoping they could figure out a way to tell Scout together. She asks, what would be their approach to that conversation, because she doesn’t know how they explain to their six-year-old daughter that he’s not only leaving her again, but this time, it’s his choice.

Taggert goes to Jordan’s office, and she asks, how’s his head? He just looks at her, and she asks, what brings him by? He says he wanted to apologize for being such an ass yesterday, but she says she doesn’t need an apology. She’s just glad to see he sobered up. He says, lesson learned, and she says, since she doesn’t need an apology, and he doesn’t need an intervention, what else can she help him with? He says, actually, there is something. He needs a job, so he was wondering if there’s any room for another detective at the PCPD.

Portia says she knows this is Elizabeth’s first day in charge. She must have a million things to do. Elizabeth says she has a meeting with Monica in an hour. Until then, she’s free if Portia wants to talk. Portia says she doesn’t even know what to say, and Elizabeth says she doesn’t have to go into detail. What she does know is that Portia’s upset, and she wants to help. Portia says she appreciates Elizabeth, and Elizabeth says, stop her if she’s prying. Portia says, pry away, and Elizabeth asks if things aren’t working out with her and Curtis. Portia says she thought they were. Don’t get her wrong; she knew it was going to be a long path to reconciliation, but when Curtis moved back in, she took that as a sign he was ready to try. From the guest room, but still. Elizabeth says, that seems like a fair assumption, and Portia says, they actually started to talk again. Trina came to his birthday party, and it made him really, really happy. Things were still tense, but they were so much better than they had been. She could really start to see a future where they were family, but it turns out Curtis had other ideas.

Ava says, so Ned thinks it’s the 90s, back when he was performing as Eddie Maine? and Nina says, from what she understands, he actually believes he is Eddie Maine. He only remembers his stage persona. He doesn’t remember his life as a Quartermaine at all. Ava asks if that means he doesn’t remember Tracy. She doesn’t think Tracy would take that well. Nina says, all she knows is, he doesn’t remember she was the one who called the SEC, and her secret is safe. Ava says, they’ll get to that, but if Nina didn’t come clean to Sonny, why isn’t she wearing her engagement ring? Nina says, Ava was there. She put it on the mantel when she was going to the hospital to tell Sonny the truth. There she was, ready to come clean… Ava says, and she looked into his eyes, and his dimples… and Nina says, then she had to come up with this lame excuse for why she didn’t have the ring on. She told him that she lost it down the drain. Luckily, when they got to the house, she managed to swipe it off the mantel and put it in the sink. Ava says, she’s crazy. That is a big, very expensive diamond. Nina says, he called the plumber. All right, she panicked. It’s a small price to pay. This is such a mess. Ava says, Nina has to know, this situation is not sustainable. Sooner or later, Ned is going to remember his real life. Nina says, trauma victims often don’t remember the events leading up to their accident. Ned overheard her conversation with Martin, then he bumped his head, so that knowledge may be gone for good. Ava says, she better hope so. If Sonny finds out now, Nina’s going to be under the gun with no way out.

Sonny says, it’s a good deal Drew made. It keeps Carly out of prison. That’s if the Feds agree to the terms. Carly says, it’s not a slam dunk, but Drew’s an optimist. Sonny says, if it keeps her out of prison, then the Feds won’t be pressuring her to flip on him. That’s if he’s really willing to do this. Carly says, he is. She didn’t even hear about this deal until after Drew’s lawyer submitted it to the SEC. Sonny says, it’s an honorable thing to do, and she says, Drew totally cut her out of his decision. Sonny says, how could they get out of this, and nobody take the fall? and she says, that’s the thing; there’s no other way out. At least none that she can see. And if they take their chances in court, they could go to prison for a helluva lot longer than six months.

Nina tells Ava that Ned has a traumatic brain injury. He’s lost most of his life as Ned Quartermaine. If he ever gets his memory back – which she sincerely hopes he does – what are the odds of him remembering this small little detail about her? Ava says, if Ned gets his memory back, she thinks it’s pretty likely that he’d remember being wrongly accused of turning Drew and Carly in to the SEC. Even if he doesn’t, if those two go to prison, everyone who believes he’s innocent will be looking for the guilty party. Nina asks what she’s supposed to do, and Ava says, she’s supposed to do what she said she was going to do. Come clean to Sonny. Tell him that she made a mistake, and wishes she could take it back, but she can’t. Nina says she just can’t do it. She can’t lose Sonny now. And what about Willow? If she finds out Nina is responsible for putting Drew and Carly in prison, Willow’s never going to speak to her again. If the truth comes out, she’ll lose the man that she loves, and she’s going to lose any kind of relationship she has with Willow. She’s just going to have to keep walking the tightrope she’s been walking, and hope for the best. Ava suggests they go for a latte, and Nina says she thought they were going for a run, but Ava says she only agreed to that because she thought Nina would have broken up with Sonny, and would need the endorphins. She clearly doesn’t, but Ava needs the caffeine.

Dr. Navarro says, they’re all set. The technician will be in shortly to prep Molly for the ultrasound. Molly says she can’t wait, and thanks the doctor again. Dr. Navarro leaves, and TJ asks if Molly is okay. Molly says, once she’s on hormone therapy, harvesting her eggs won’t be an option, so it makes sense to do it now. They can decide what they do with the eggs later. He says he hates that she’s in pain, but she says, it’s better. He says, any pain. If the hormone therapy can take that away, he wants her on it as soon as humanly possible. She says, her too. So they freeze her eggs and keep all of their options open. She keeps reminding herself that her endometriosis might make it harder for them to have a baby. He says, but not impossible, and she says, even though she might not be able to carry the baby herself, they can use her eggs and find a surrogate to carry their child. He says, tons of people do it, and she says, they do, but they’re not us. So she has to ask. Would he be okay with using a surrogate?

Alexis says she’s sorry, but she has to go. She has to go to GH and check on Ned. Dante says, they’ll keep her posted, and she leaves. Sam says she’s waiting. How are she and Drew supposed to tell their daughter that he’s chosen to leave her? (I dunno, but I bet it’s easier than having to tell her about a trial dragging on forever, and then him being in Pentenville for a few years.) Drew says he doesn’t want to leave Scout, and she says, then don’t. Fight the charges. It’s not like he and Carly made money on the merger because Carly knew about the merger; the merger didn’t even happen. ELQ and Aurora are still separate companies, and they both lost money. Dante says, not to be cop in the room, but it’s the intent that matters with insider trading. It’s not the outcome. Sam says she doesn’t care, but Drew still deserves the lesser sentence. Carly is the one who bought the shares. Drew says, she was trying to help him and Michael, but Sam says, that’s still on her. Unless he expects her to believe that he and Michael told her to buy the shares to drive up the stock, which not in any universe does she think is possible. Dante says he thinks there are dishes that need to be done, and jets to the kitchen. (The Invader announces, for the first time ever, a man volunteers to do dishes. Just kidding, male readers.) Drew asks Sam not to make this any harder than it already is, and she says she’s not going to make it any easier, that’s for damn sure. He says, this is the best way out of a bad situation, and she says, best way for who? Not for him. Not for their daughter. So she guesses it’s best for Carly then. He says, Carly’s got primary custody of Donna. If Carly goes to prison, Donna’s whole world gets turned upside down. Scout has Sam and Dante, and she’s used to not seeing him. She says, what is he talking about? He was held captive in a dungeon for half of her life. Drew says, she can bring Scout to see him in Spring Ridge, and she says, that makes everything okay. He says, Dante is an amazing father, but she says, don’t you do that. Dante and Scout have an excellent relationship, but Dante is not Scout’s father; he is. When they lost Drew the first time, Scout was truly too young to miss him. She didn’t know what she was missing because she had no memories of him. But now she’s going to know he’s gone, and she’s going to miss him every single day of her life, and she’s not going to watch their daughter go through that kind of pain.

Jordan says, Taggert wants to work here? Again? He says he’s a good detective, and she says, one of the best. She just thought he preferred working for himself these days. Picking and choosing his own cases. He says he did. It was great, but now with all this traveling, it’s getting old. He wants to stay in Port Charles. She says, so this is about Trina, and he says, if he told her no, would she believe him? She says, and she thought it was the booze talking yesterday. Come on. Is he really worried Curtis will replace him in Trina’s life?

Portia tells Elizabeth, all these months, all she wanted was for Curtis to move back home. She thought they needed to be together, so they could figure out if they could get their marriage to work. But as soon as her feelings get hurt, she runs away. Elizabeth asks why she ran. With Curtis in the guest bedroom, Portia could have avoided him if she wanted to. Portia says, that’s just the thing. She didn’t want to avoid Curtis. She wanted to hurt him the way he’d hurt her. She didn’t go home last night because she was afraid if she and Curtis were in the same house, she would say something in anger that she couldn’t take back. And then that would push Curtis to say something he couldn’t take back, and then their marriage would really be over. Elizabeth says, so despite what Portia found out about him and how he hurt her, she still wants a life with him? Portia says, sure… She doesn’t know. They sit, and Portia says she’s been working so hard to regain Curtis’s trust. She wanted to show him that she could make up for all the mistakes she’s made. He kept saying, it was too soon to talk, and she’s thinking, it’s because she hurt him so deeply that he needed time to heal; she needed time to atone. In her mind, they were both getting stronger, and they were going to come together and work on their marriage. Turns out Curtis wasn’t thinking about their marriage. He wasn’t thinking about her at all.

Jordan says she can’t imagine what a blow it must have been; Taggert learning Trina wasn’t his biological child. She is still his daughter, no matter what. He tells her, that’s what everyone keeps saying, and she says, he honestly doesn’t think Trina would cut him out of her life, does he?

TJ says, he wants to raise his and Molly’s child with her, no matter how they get there, and she says, if they choose surrogacy, how do they choose the surrogate? It’s a huge responsibility. He asks, what qualities are essential besides general good health? No drinking, non-smoker. Molly says, she has to be a vegetarian, and he says, agreed. Is that it? She says she doesn’t know. How picky can they get? Can they ask her to read to the baby, and listen to classical music, and to refrain from watching any violent movies? He says he’s not sure, and she says, fortunately, there are experts who can advise them. He says, right. Let’s listen to the experts. You know what? He thinks this’ll work. They kiss.

Jordan says, they don’t have to talk about it if Taggert doesn’t want to, and he thanks her, adding, he doesn’t. So let’s talk about that job. She says, bottom line, she doesn’t have room in the budget for another detective, and he says, oh well. Didn’t hurt to ask. She says, but she does have another position opening up, and he says he’s listening. What job? She says, hers.

Drew tells Sam, if he could find a better solution, he’d take it in a heartbeat. It breaks his heart thinking of being away from Scout. Things he’ll be missing. Things they’ll be missing together. The things they love to do together; like camping, and the holidays, and trick-or-treating, Thanksgiving and Christmas. She says she just wants him to know how important he is to Scout; that he’s not taking this deal because he thinks Scout won’t miss him. Because she will. She’ll miss him every day. She loves her daddy. He says he knows that, and he loves her too. Please don’t ever let her doubt that.

Carly tells Sonny that she still can’t believe Ned turned them in. Speaking of whom, is it true? Ned thinks he’s Eddie Maine? Sonny says, yep, it’s true. Olivia is so upset because he says he doesn’t know anybody. He even told Leo that he thinks Leo’s not his son. Carly says, poor Leo, and Sonny says, that’s Ned. Even when he doesn’t know who he is, he’s hurting people. (Ha-ha! Poor Ned.) She says, before all this happened, she and Drew were trying to figure out a way to persuade Ned to get the SEC to drop the charges. He asks if she can tell him what the plan is, but she says, it doesn’t matter. He thinks he’s Eddie Maine. And it makes her sick to think of Drew behind bars again, after everything Peter August and Victor Cassadine did to him. Nina walks in with Ava.

Elizabeth says, Curtis wouldn’t move back in if he’d truly given up on their marriage, and Portia says, she’s right. This is why she shouldn’t be talking to Curtis yet. She’s just not ready. She has no clarity. She’s just a ball of hurt and resentment right now. Elizabeth’s phone chimes several times, and Elizabeth says, and so it begins. Portia asks if those are all from the same person, and Elizabeth says she wishes. Portia says, that’s what comes with being in charge. Go. Be head nurse. Just remember… They say it together, you asked for this. Elizabeth suggests they pick this up over lunch, and Portia thanks her, but says, Elizabeth has helped her realize who she really needs to be talking to.

Alexis sees TJ looking at some files, and she says, he’s working? She thought he and Molly had an appointment with Dr. Navarro this morning. He says he’s not officially working, but since he’s here… She says, he couldn’t help himself. He says, Molly’s having an ultrasound to have an some-medical-term count, and Alexis says, what’s that? since she’s as confused as I am about that word. He says, it’s a way to determine how many eggs Molly has left, which will tell them how many eggs they can hope for if they harvest them. Alexis says, that’s good, right? and he says, yes. It gives them options just in case. She says she knows this isn’t how he and Molly imagined having a baby, and he says, it sure isn’t. Funny thing is, ever since they were teenagers, they were told, don’t have sex; you could get pregnant. Alexis asks if they heard that from anyone else besides her, or was she the lone voice in the wilderness? but he says, it felt like everybody. She says, but her voice was the loudest? It happens often. Go on. He says, they were so careful, but now that they actually want a baby, it’s not this instantaneous thing they’ve been worried about all these years. And if that’s not confusing enough, it’s no longer private. Something just between him and Molly, it’s doctors, testing, labs. She says she knows they didn’t plan it this way, and she knows it’s not ideal. He and Molly can keep focused on the prize, which will be a baby coming to them, one way or the other.

Jordan says she’s the new acting Deputy Mayor, and Taggert says, wow! That’s amazing. Congratulations. She thanks him, but says, she can’t do both jobs. She needs to find her replacement. He says, she’d be like his boss? and she says, yes, just like she would have been if he’d taken the detective job. She can’t just offer him the position, but she can run it up the flagpole and see if it flies. He asks if she thinks he can really be Police Commissioner, and she says, if she didn’t think he’d be good at the job, she wouldn’t have mentioned it. So what does he think?

Carly says, she was just leaving, and addresses Ava as she walks out. Sonny says, good run? and Nina says, they decided to walk to Perks instead. Ava asks, how things are with Carly? Is there anything new from the SEC? Sonny says he hates to disappoint Ava, but the insider trading charges aren’t going to be a problem for Carly. Nina asks, why is that? and Sonny says, there’s a deal in the works. Carly and Drew are just going to have to pay a fine, so she doesn’t have to spend any time behind bars. Nina says, Carly didn’t agree to give Sonny up to save herself, did she? but he says, nothing like that. Drew agreed to spend some time at Spring Ridge, so Carly doesn’t have to go to prison.

Drew tells Sam, Scout didn’t even remember him when he got back. She was so shy around him; they’ve come so far. Sam says, now she can’t wait to be around him, especially when he picks her up for sleepovers. He says, she’ll have sleepovers at the Quartermaines, and he’s sure she’s still going to try and teach Leo and Annabelle II how to play the keyboard. Sam says, but who’s going to be there to teach her how to play the harmonica? Or go to her swim meets? Can he really stand not seeing their daughter for six months? He says, no, he can’t, but he’s going to have to. There’s a knock at the door, and Dante opens it to Carly. She says she thought Sam might have a few things she wants to say to her, and Sam says, Drew’s going to prison. She’s not happy about that. Carly says, neither is she, and Sam says, but it is his decision, so she respects that. Carly says, for the record, she tried to talk him out of it, and Sam says she appreciates that. She turns to Drew and asks if he’s figured out a way for them to tell their daughter. He says, the deal hasn’t been officially accepted yet, and she says, he thinks they should wait. He says he thinks it’s better they don’t say anything until he has an exact date that he’s heading to Spring Ridge. Sam says, Scout doesn’t need to know any maybes. This is going to be hard enough. Drew says, which is another reason he wanted to talk, so that Sam, him, and Dante can figure out how to tell her. Dante says, Drew wants him there? and Drew says, absolutely. Dante says, that means a lot. Thanks. Drew says, Dante means a lot to Scout, and he’s grateful she’s going to have the two of them in her life while he’s gone.

Alexis goes to the reception desk, and Amy asks if she’s here to see Mr. Maine. She’s trying to get used to calling him that instead of his real name. At least until he remembers who he is. Isn’t it crazy that he thinks he’s this singer from back in the day? Elizabeth calls over to Amy, who says she didn’t see Elizabeth behind her. Elizabeth says she just got here, but Amy must have… Amy says, patients to check on, and leaves.

Nina says, words fail her, and Ava says she thinks it’s great news, especially for little Donna. Sonny says he’s just glad his daughter doesn’t have to go through the pain of not having a mother, even if it’s temporary. But he does have some good news. Guess what the plumber found in the pipeline? He shows Nina her ring.

Sam tells Dante that she hates that Drew decided without consulting anyone. At the same time, she’s glad they have time to think of how to break it to Scout. He says he thinks they just have to tell her it’s temporary; that her dad is coming back. Sam says, maybe they can make her a chest, and he says, like a treasure chest? She says, exactly, snuggling next to him on the couch. They can put in report cards, her artwork, and… He says, disciplinary actions, and she laughs. She says, all the little things she does, and when Drew gets out, they can go through it together. He says he thinks it’s a great idea. That way, he won’t miss anything. She says, he’s going to miss a lot.

Walking outside, Drew says he’s so happy Carly and Sam are friends. She’s going to need a good, solid support system when he’s gone. She says, he’s going to prison. That means he’s going to be a prisoner again. (Another Sherlock!) He says, Spring Ridge is not exactly an underground cell in Crete. (Thank you.) He’ll be fine. She says she knows he’ll be fine; she’s not. How is she supposed to be okay without him? They hug.

Molly comes back, and TJ says he ran into her mom. He told her what they were considering. He hopes that was okay. She says, of course (🍷) it is. She’ll call her mom later, but right now why don’t they go somewhere and get coffee, and enjoy her rare day off. He says, they’ve already seen her OB/GYN. How can they top that? She really knows how to party. They walk, and Dr. Navarro comes by. She says she was just about to call them. Molly’s test results came in. Wow. Fastest. Lab. Ever.

Ava says she’ll leave them to it, and asks Nina to call her later. Sonny wants to talk to Frank, and Nina says she’ll walk Ava out. They go around the corner, and Nina says, can you believe it? Carly gets off scot free – again. Ava says she’s appalled, but not entirely surprised, and Nina says, Carly is the one who bought the damn stock. She’s the one who acted on the information she wasn’t supposed to have. Carly should go to prison; not Drew. It’s not fair. Ava says, there is a bright side to this Nina isn’t seeing. Carly getting off is really the best thing that could happen for Nina. Nina asks how Carly staying out of prison and staying in Port Charles good for her, and Ava says, because if Carly went to prison, and Sonny found out it was because of her, a broken engagement would be the least of her worries. If he finds out now, there’s a chance he might forgive Nina… maybe. Nina says, it’s small comfort.

Drew tells Carly, it’s six months. It’s not going to be fun, but they’ll get through this. She says she knows. He’s right. He says, does she know what else he is? Not wrong yet. They’re going to make the most of their time together. She says, that sounds like a challenge, and he says, what if it is? She says, challenge accepted, and they kiss.

Sonny puts Nina’s ring on her finger, saying, back where it belongs. She says she’s so relieved. It didn’t feel right not having it on. He says, never take it off, and she says she won’t. They kiss.

Elizabeth sees Amy, and asks if they need to talk about patient confidentiality, but Amy says, no, and she’s sorry. It’s just that Miss Davis and Mr. Quartermaine are practically family. Elizabeth says she knows, but practically family… Amy says, isn’t actually family. It won’t happen again. Elizabeth thanks her, and asks if she’s seen Portia. Amy says, her office is locked. She thinks Dr. Robinson left.

There’s a knock at Jordan’s office door, and she says, come in. Portia walks in, not looking too happy.

Tomorrow, Lucy asks Maxie, what exactly is the story; Gladys wants to know what someone thinks they have; and Portia asks, what on earth possessed Jordan to kiss her husband?

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Carly asks Drew to just tell her; did the Quartermaines get rid of Valentin as CEO of ELQ?

At Kelly’s, Anna checks her phone, and Felicia asks if there are any messages from Valentin. Anna says, sorry? and Felicia says, Anna hasn’t heard a word she’s said in the last fifteen minutes. Anna says, Felicia confronted Ryan Chamberlain. Felicia told her three times. Felicia says, message received. She guesses she’s still running on adrenaline from the experience. Anna’s turn now. Tell her everything about her date with Valentin; spare no details. Victor comes over to their table, and says, what’s this about Anna and his son? Outside, Valentin looks through the window, and sees Victor talking to Anna.

TJ asks Epiphany how her Juneteenth was, and she says she spent most of it studying, but she did manage to come up for air, and go to a prayer service and a barbecue. He says he admires her time management skills, and she says, between her and him, she’s beat, but she can’t let on, or her nurses won’t fear her anymore. He says, her secret is safe with him, and she sees the stack of books in his hands, and says, doing a little light reading? He says, they’re for her, to assure her nurses fear her for years to come… Dr. Johnson.

Ned follows Olivia into the living room, and tells her, allow him to explain. She asks if it’s going to sound any better in here, and he says he’s trying to avoid Brook with another tirade. Olivia says, from what she can hear, Brook is totally justified, and he tells her, but she said… She tells him, she said they shouldn’t make any judgements until they have all the facts. Now what facts caused him to throw away his family’s legacy?

On the phone, Michael asks how soon Dex can meet. He has another idea, but they’ll have to get creative… He’ll meet Dex there. Sonny won’t see this coming. Leo asks what he’s doing to Uncle Sonny.

Sonny asks, what happened with ELQ today? but Willow says she doesn’t really want to be the go-between. She suggests he reach out to Michael himself, and if Michael doesn’t respond, it means he doesn’t want to discuss ELQ with him. Nina says she doesn’t think now is the time to pressure Willow; she isn’t feeling very well. Maybe they should get an ice tea or something. Sonny says he understands, but if something happened, he needs to know, and Nina says she’ll reach out to Valentin. He’ll tell her what happened. Sasha says, if Willow won’t go to GH, she’ll take Willow home, but Willow insists she’s fine. Willow looks a little spacy, turns, and keels over, Sonny catching her. Obrecht says, lie her down and elevate her legs, and Sonny says, call 9-1-1. They put Willow on a chaise, and Obrecht asks if Willow can hear her.

Drew says, some of the Quartermaines voted to remove Valentin, and Carly says, some? Not all? He says, everyone except Ned, and she says, Ned sided with Valentin against his own family? That doesn’t make any sense. Ned was leading the charge to force Valentin out. Drew says, ultimately, he wasn’t happy with the plan to merge ELQ and Aurora. Ned felt that the role he and Michael offered him was beneath him. She says, but Drew and Michael worked so hard to ensure ELQ was back under Quartermaine control. Doesn’t Ned think the merger was good for the company? Drew says, they thought he’d come around. It was bad judgement on their part. She says, so Ned betrayed his family to serve his own ego, but that doesn’t mean Valentin had enough votes to stay in control. Who turned?

Michael tells Leo that he was just discussing a surprise for his Uncle Sonny with someone, and Leo says, Brook is mad at his dad, and he heard her talking to Granny Tracy. Michael isn’t sure Tracy likes being called that, and Leo asks, why not? Michael says he guesses it makes her feel old, and Leo says he has to talk to his mom. Michael suggests Leo give his mom and dad a minute, and he asks if his mom is mad at his dad too. Michael sits down and says, sometimes Quartermaines get mad at each other, but that doesn’t mean they don’t love each other. Leo says, then why do they fight? and Michael says he guesses it’s in their nature. Leo says, like an instinct, and Michael says, they were born to be mad at each other, but still love each other. Leo says, okay, and tells Michael that he’d like to cut up some apples, but can’t do it on his own. Michael offers to help him, and they go inside.

Ned says, Olivia knows Michael and Drew were trying to put him out to pasture. Siding with Valentin was the only way he could stay in a position of power at the company. She says, his family’s company, and he says, yes, his family’s company, where Michael and Drew would have sidelined him if this merger had gone through. So what was he supposed to do? Just stand back and let it happen? She says, he was supposed to make a deal, and asks if he’s ever heard the word compromise, but he says, there was no compromising with Drew and Michael. They wanted him to do all the sacrificing, while they got everything they wanted. She tells him, she’s not saying they were right; she’s saying he has to look at the bigger picture. He says, which is? and she says, is it really worth alienating himself from all his loved ones?

Anna says, they’re having a private conversation, and Victor apologizes, saying, he didn’t mean to eavesdrop. Felicia says, didn’t he? but he says, no. He just heard his son’s name, and it caught his attention. Valentin comes in, and says, this is a surprise. Anna says, for everyone, and Valentin says, well, there are plenty of tables outside. It’s nice to see them. He starts to leave, but Victor suggests they make it a foursome.

Obrecht says, Willow’s breathing is steady and seems normal. Did she hit her head or sustain any injuries before she fell? Sonny says, no, at least not in his presence. Obrecht tell Nina to ask the bartender for a glass of juice, and Nina leaves. Willow opens her eyes, and asks, what happened? Obrecht tells her, lean back and rest. Does she remember what happened? Nina comes back with the juice (that was fast), and Willow says, no. Obrecht takes the juice, gives it to Willow, and says, drink up. She asks if Willow feels dizzy or lightheaded, but Willow says, no; she’s fine. Obrecht tells Sasha, Willow doesn’t need emergency care, but she should be examined at the hospital. Sasha asks if she needs an ambulance, but Willow says, no, and Obrecht agrees it’s not necessary. Sasha says she’s going to take Willow to GH, but Willow says, there’s really no need. She starts to get up, but sits back down, and Sonny tells her that she has to listen to the doctor unless she wants to stay here while Sasha calls for the ambulance. Willow says, fine, and Sonny helps her up and out of the MetroCourt.

Michael’s phone rings, and he asks Sasha if everything is okay. She tells him, Willow fainted at the MetroCourt pool. They’re taking her to GH. He says he’s on his way.

Valentin says, Anna and Felicia don’t want him and Victor intruding on their lunch, but Victor says, why not? Valentin and Anna are friends. Very close friends as he understands it. Felicia says, but he knows the old saying; two’s company, and four’s a nightmare. Victor suggests he and Valentin take a raincheck. He’s sure Valentin would rather catch up with his friends anyway. Valentin asks if he’s sure, and Victor says, of course (🍷). They can catch up later. Business can wait. He tells Anna and Felicia, ladies, always a pleasure, and leaves. Valentin says, that’s his father; can’t stop making decisions for other people. Do they want him to leave? Felicia says, no, join them… if it’s all right with Anna. Anna says, of course (🍷). She’d love to hear about this business Valentin has with his father.

Drew tells Carly, once Ned sided with Valentin, the votes were split right down the middle, and they had a tie-breaker. She says, Lucy, of course (🍷), and he says, she voted with Valentin. He remains CEO, and Ned is Chairman of the Board. She says, so Valentin promised Ned a more important role in the company in exchange for his vote. What about the merger? He says, the merger’s dead, and she says she’s sorry. She knows how badly he and Michael wanted this to happen. It can only strengthen ELQ. She can’t believe Ned is so blind. Drew says he’s not blameless here. He just assumed Ned would always side with the Quartermaines. He should have done more to assure that. She says, come on, no one saw this coming, but he says, Valentin did. He outmaneuvered them – again. He’d almost admire the guy if it wasn’t his family company. She asks what this means for Aurora.

Nina says she hopes Willow’s okay, and Obrecht says, it’s me, Liebchen. She doesn’t have to pretend she cares about that woman. Nina says she’s not a monster; that woman is Wiley’s mother. Obrecht says, adoptive mother who’s denying Nina visitation with her grandson. Nina says, it’s torture being kept from Wiley, but Sonny did remind her that one day Wiley will be able to make his own decisions about who he spends time with. Hopefully, Michael and Willow won’t totally brainwash him into hating her. Obrecht asks what she’ll do until that day comes, and Nina says she has a whole life to throw herself into. She doesn’t lack for distractions. Obrecht asks if one of those distractions is a certain mafioso? and Nina says, she’s so silly, and it almost sounds like Obrecht approves of her and Sonny. Obrecht says she approves of Nina being happy, and if Nina’s happiness means being with the man who hates her Scotty, she won’t make a fuss. Nina says, at least not much of one. Obrecht knows Nina wants her happiness too, right? Nina holds out her hand, and Obrecht takes it, saying, she knows. Nina says, then why did she turn down Scotty’s proposal?

TJ tells Epiphany, he took an MCAT prep course at PCU, and the instructor did a really good job at breaking down the hard subjects. She says, like physics? and he says, especially like physics. So he dug out the textbooks; he thought she could use them. She thanks him, and he says, the entire GH staff is pulling for her. He knows Portia is helping her, but if she needs anything, say the word. Sonny and Sasha come in with Willow between them, and Sasha says, they need help. Sonny tells them, Willow collapsed, and TJ sets up the wheelchair. Willow says, it’s not necessary, but he says, she collapsed a few months ago. Epiphany says, because she wasn’t eating, and Willow insists she’s eaten today; it’s not that. TJ says he’ll get her to an exam room and find out, and wheels her away. Sasha tells Sonny, Willow was out cold; what does he think it is? He says, TJ and Epiphany will find out. She’s going to be okay. Sasha says, he doesn’t know that. Bad things happen here. He says he knows she’s worried about Willow, but that seems like an overreaction. She says, every time she comes here, something terrible happens. Willow’s mom dying, losing her baby… He says he knows she’s going through a rough time, and he’s sorry, but maybe she should put her energy into supporting Willow. Thinking about what happened in the past isn’t going to… Michael walks in, and asks Sasha, where’s Willow? How is she?

Epiphany says, Willow’s blood pressure is 80 over 150, and Willow says, that’s pretty low, but she feels better. TJ asks if there have been any more fainting spells between now and three months ago, but Willow says, none. He says, any spells of weakness or dizziness? and she says, not really. He asks if she wants to be a bad patient or a good nurse. Come on. She says, four times in the past few months. Some lightheadedness, but it quickly passed. She figured it was stress. Between nursing school, being a good mom, and everything else she has going on in her personal life, it’s like she’s juggling hundreds of balls in the air, and she’s afraid to drop any of them. He says, that makes total sense, but this is her second time collapsing. He’s going to run some tests. He thinks stress might be a trigger, but doesn’t think it’s the cause.

Obrecht asks how Nina knew she’d turned down Scotty’s proposal, and Nina says, maybe Obrecht shouldn’t have said no in the middle of a busy nail salon with Lucy Coe present, and Obrecht says, the blabbermouth must have told Nina why she turned down Scotty’s proposal. Nina says, she did. She said Obrecht didn’t want to be staid or settled. Just explain how marrying Scotty would make her feel tied down. Obrecht says she’s an independent woman. She doesn’t need a man to make her feel complete. Nina says, of course (🍷) she doesn’t, but she thought Scotty made Obrecht’s life better, and Obrecht says, in many ways. Nina asks why Obrecht doesn’t make him a permanent part of it, and Obrecht says, he proposed on a whim, as a way to make up for upsetting her. She deserves more. Nina asks, what if Scotty proposed to her under the right circumstances? Would she say yes?

Valentin tells Anna, it’s not really business. His father has resumed his mission to keep family close. Anna says, Valentin was never interested in family bonding before, and he says he’s not; he’s pretending, to keep an eye on Victor. That was her suggestion. She says, it was. Good luck with that. He thanks her, and suggests they change the subject. Felicia says she’ll drink to that. Isn’t he glad he ran into them? They’re an upgrade from Victor, doesn’t he think? He says, he certainly does, and Felicia says, that’s her cue to get a refill. She goes to the counter, and Valentin asks how Anna has been. She says, since he saw her two nights ago? and he says he hasn’t stopped thinking about her. Does she think of him? She says, once or twice, and he asks if she wants to elaborate, but she tells him that she doesn’t think there’s anything else to say.

Ned tells Olivia, he’s thought this through, and yes, he’s part of the Quartermaine family, but she, Brook, and Leo are also part of his family, and he has to think about what’s best for their future. She says she doesn’t care about this company, but she cares about him and his relationships with his family. All the other Quartermaines voted to keep Valentin out. Does he know how rare it is for the Quartermaines to come together for a common purpose? He’s going to be the enemy that everyone is rallying together against. Is he really okay with that? He says, Michael and Drew left him no choice, but she says, he had a choice, and he made the wrong one. She doesn’t think he realizes how bad this is going to get for him. He says he can handle whatever Michael and Drew throw at him, and she says, they’re not his enemies, but his choices have made them his opponents. One day, he’s going to need his family, and they might not be there for him. He asks why he needs them when he has her, Brook, and Leo, and she asks if he doesn’t think his standing in this family affects Leo. Did he think about that, or does he just not care?

Drew tells Carly, news of the ELQ vote got out almost as soon as it happened, as well as news of an angel investor trying to inflate the stock value, so the shareholders left in droves. She says, so Aurora stock took a hit, and he says, a pretty big hit, yeah. She says, and the shares she bought? and he says he’s sorry. She likely took a pretty big hit as well. She says, he has no idea, and he says, she took a risk helping him and Michael. He’s going to help her. She says she thinks it’s a little late for that, and he says he’s not going to let her lose her house. She says, her house? and he says he’s assuming it’s one of the assets, but she says, it’s bigger than that. She sold her half of the MetroCourt.

Michael asks if Willow hurt herself, and Sasha says, she’s conscious, and being examined by Dr. Ashford. Sonny says, Willow walked in under her own power, and Michael asks why Sonny is involved. Did he say something to upset her? He doesn’t have time for this; he needs to see Willow. Sasha points the way, and he goes to the exam room.

Michael asks if Willow is okay, and she says she’s perfectly fine. Epiphany and TJ are being overly cautious because it’s the second time she’s fainted in the past several months. TJ says he’s running tests to find out the underlying cause. He tells Willow to rest, and he’ll let her know when the test results are back. He and Epiphany leave, and Michael asks who he’s going to believe; the doctor, or the woman he loves downplaying her health concerns? She says, he knows how doctors are, all doom and gloom. She should just record, I’m fine, into her phone, and hold it up when someone asks. He hugs her.

Sasha asks Epiphany, how’s Willow? and Epiphany tells her, all she can say is, she’s alert and being treated. Sasha says, promising, right? and Epiphany says, keep thinking good thoughts. She leaves, and Sonny asks if he can get Sasha anything, but she tells him, she’s good. She thanks him for his help, and says, sorry about Michael. She knows things have been rocky between them. He says, family’s family, and Willow is the mother of his grandson. She says, he always takes good care of his family; he’s been really good to Brando. It means a lot to him, to both of them, that Sonny was there for them when they lost Liam. He says, there’s nothing worse than losing a child, and she says she never realized you can lose what you love in an instant, but now she’s trying to focus on being grateful for what she does have. He says, that’s what you’ve got to do, and tells her that he has to go. She asks if he’s avoiding a confrontation with Michael, and he says, his son has enough to worry about right now. She says she hopes he knows, even though he and Michael aren’t getting along, Michael knows Willow is in good hands with Sonny, and Sonny says he hopes so, and leaves.

Valentin says, how about that second date? and Anna says, sure, but they didn’t make plans. He says, they can fix that, when Felicia returns, and asks what she missed. Anna says, Valentin was about to tell her about his ELQ shareholders meeting this morning, and he says, he’s still CEO of ELQ. Anna says, congratulations, and Felicia says, she can only imagine how the Quartermaines feel. He says, Ned knows he’s good for business, and the others will come around or they won’t, and Anna says, now that his tenure has been renewed, she supposes his schedule will be full. He says, he’ll always make time for her, and his phone rings. He says he’ll have to call her. This is business he can’t ignore. He leaves, and Felicia asks, what the hell was that about?

Obrecht tells Nina, her relationship with Scotty is a new experience for her. He’s very different from Cesar and Victor. Nina says, because he’s not deranged? and Obrecht says, love was always a war of wills with those two. Nina says, Obrecht was obsessed with Faison, and Victor was obsessed with her. Obsession is not love. Obrecht says, with mein Scott it’s fun, and Nina says, it’s a first for Obrecht. Obrecht says, just like Sonny is a first for Nina. She’s never seen Nina lose her heart so completely before. Nina says, she’s not with Sonny; they’re taking it slow. Obrecht says, any slower, and they’ll be standing still. Nina says, falling in love with Mike… or just falling for Mike in Nixon Falls was unexpected. It was easy. They just hit it off. It hasn’t been quite the same thing with Sonny. Obrecht says, he came with baggage, which he has since shed. Don’t make the relationship more complicated than it has to be. Nina says, her history with romance hasn’t been very smooth, and Obrecht says, and her relationships with Cesar and Victor have been positively tortured. She thought all relationships were supposed to be difficult. Nina says, it’s easy with Scott, isn’t it? and Obrecht says, just like with Nina and Sonny. If she’d run from her feelings for Scotty, she’d still be with a narcissistic megalomaniac. Nina subtly points, and Obrecht turns around to see Victor.

Michael asks if Willow needs anything, and she says, what she needs is for him to stop worrying. He says, don’t think he hasn’t noticed how low energy she’s been lately, and she says she wonders why. He says, she was busy and preoccupied, but so are thousands of people who don’t pass out twice in a few months. She looks down, and he says, don’t tell him that she passed out more than twice, but she says, no, it’s not that. She kind of lied to TJ. She doesn’t remember eating breakfast. Michael says, and she told TJ she did? and she says, she had been taking better care of herself since the last time, but she had so many things on her mind. It’s possible she just forgot a meal, or two. He says she has to tell TJ, but she says he’ll just tell her to get some more rest; there’s nothing to worry about. So what’s the point? He tells her, okay. Whatever you say.

Carly says, her financial advisor is coming over to discuss her options, and Drew says, she sold half the hotel to invest in Aurora? She says, she has a contract to buy her half back, plus 3%, which would not have been a problem if the merger had happened, but it didn’t, so she doesn’t know what she’s looking at. He says, they’ll figure this out. We just need regroup, assess the situation, and find a solution. She says, there’s no we. She made the investment, and she’s the one on the hook for the losses. He says, she doesn’t have to be in this alone, he wants to help her, but she says, what if there’s nothing he can do? He puts his hand on her shoulder, and says, if there is anything he can do, he’s here to help her, even if it’s just someone to lean on; at least that’s something. Can she let him do that? She puts her hand on his, and says, she can.

Ned tells Olivia, of course (🍷) he cares. He would never do anything to hurt Leo, or her. She says, guess what? He did. He says, she just told him that she doesn’t care about the company, and she says she doesn’t. She cares about their marriage, and he kept her out of the loop. When she ran into him and Valentin at the stable, were the two of them plotting about this? He says, no. Valentin was there to try to convince Ned to vote with him, but he hadn’t made up his mind yet. She says, it didn’t occur to him to confide in her? How does he think that makes her feel? She’s his wife. Even when they disagree about things, she’s still on his side. He didn’t think he could trust her? He says, it wasn’t about trust, and she says, then what was it about? He made a promise; he said he was going to keep her in the loop. After everything that led to their separation… He promised they were going to be a team, and he kept her in the dark, and that’s not what a teammate does. They renewed their marriage vows because she really thought he’d changed for the better. He says if he’d realized how this would make her feel, he would have told her everything, and she says, you know what scares her? That he didn’t realize it. Leo comes in, and Olivia asks, what’s the matter? Is he okay? Ned asks if Leo hurt himself, and Leo says he messed up.

Anna tells Felicia, that was so abrupt. Valentin’s usually smoother than that. Felicia says she can’t figure out what was weirder; the part where he took off without making plans with Anna, or the part where he’s having lunch with Victor. Anna says, they’re equally weird, and Felicia says, Anna never did tell her about their date. Anna says, they had a lovely time, and Felicia says, details please. Anna says, he took her to a double-feature at a drive-in. They saw Notorious and Casablanca. Felicia says, espionage and intrigue. They must have felt right at home. Anna says, they kind of did, and Felicia says, please tell her they made out in the front seat and missed half the movie, but Anna says she’d never tell Felicia that. Felicia says she’ll take that as a yes, and they did agree to make plans, right? Anna says, yeah, but as Felicia witnessed, they didn’t firm up those plans. Felicia says, Valentin did just solidify his position as CEO of ELQ, and that company is never without its drama. Anna says, that’s true, but her gut tells her, something else besides ELQ is going on.

Obrecht asks what Victor is doing there. She thought vampires burst into flame when touched by daylight. Victor chuckles, and asks her to promise never to lose her wonderful sense of humor. As for why he’s here, he’s here for a business meeting, so he thought he’d come by the pool and relax for a while. In a suit? Sonny has come in, and Obrecht tells Nina that she can handle Victor; enjoy herself. Nina tells Victor, if he harms a hair on her Aunt Liesl’s head… He says he promises to leave Aunt Liesl as pristine as he found her, and Nina joins Sonny. Victor relaxes on the chaise next to Obrecht, and she says she didn’t invite him to join her. He says he heard a rumor that her ambulance chaser proposed to her, and she turned him down, and she says, this is his business because…? He says, because it signals to him that he wasn’t not wrong hold out hope all this time. There’s still a chance for them to be together.

Sonny tells Nina that Willow is resting comfortably, and TJ ran some tests and is waiting for the results. She says she’ll keep her fingers crossed that Willow’s okay. Did he see Michael? He says, can they… Yeah. Michael wasn’t too happy to see him. She says, if he hadn’t been there to catch Willow, she could have been injured. Michael should be grateful he was there. Sonny says, can they not talk about Michael, just for one second? and she says, okay. What does he want to talk about? He says, can we just talk about us? and smiles, working those dimples.

Carly tells financial advisor Reggie to cut to the chase; what are her options? Drew says he’ll give them some privacy, but Carly tells him to stay. She wants him to hear this. Reggie tells her, Stillwater Venture Group is exercising their option to sell her half of the hotel. She says she has 30 days to pay the loan, but Reggie says, she could sell off all her investments, and it still wouldn’t be enough.

Willow asks, what happened when she left the house? and Michael says, things got ugly. She asks if Ned tried to justify voting with Valentin, and he says, Ned just came up with the same old excuses. She says, it was good for business, it’s what’s best for his family… and Michael says, don’t worry. He and Drew are going to come up with a strategy to turn things around. He tells her that she looks cold, and goes to get her a blanket. She leans back and closes her eyes, when TJ comes in. He asks if she’s feeling dizzy, but she says she was just resting her eyes. Any news from the lab? He says he got the results of one of her tests

Drew says, there has to be something Carly can do to hang on to the MetroCourt, but Reggie says, she doesn’t have the capital to buy the hotel back. Drew says, so they raise the money, and Carly says, they have 30 days. Reggie says, Stillwater doesn’t have to wait the full 30 days. If Carly can’t demonstrate solvency – and she can’t – they have the option to sell as soon as they find a buyer.  Carly says, so she’s going to lose the MetroCourt?

Olivia cleans Leo up, and Leo says he wanted to feed Comet. Michael helped him cut the apples up. She asks if Michael helped him feed Comet, but he shakes his head, and says, Comet looked like he wanted to be brushed, but no one was around to help. He got a stool, and he fell. Ned says, they obviously need to hire a new stable manager as soon as possible, and Olivia asks, why didn’t Leo come and get her and Ned? Leo says, she was mad at dad, and he didn’t want to bother them. She hugs him and says, he would never bother them. He can always come get her or Ned. Ned says, it doesn’t matter what Leo thinks is going on between him and Leo’s mother; Leo comes first. They’ll always make time to help him. Olivia says, they’re a family. They’re Quartermaines, and Quartermaines stick together. Leo says, even when you’re mad? and Ned says, even when we’re mad.

Obrecht asks Victor, how many stars are in the universe? and he says, billions. She says, those are the odds of them getting back together, but he says, come now. In her heart of hearts, she knows that blathering Mr. Baldwin could never satisfy her. She says, but he does, and Victor says, she believes he makes her happy now, but she’s a woman of the world. She has degrees in academic fields that courtroom clown can’t even pronounce. That’s why she turned him down. She’s leagues ahead of him. She tells him, leave, before she makes him exit from the roof. He says, she can deny it all she wants, but she know she’ll always carry a torch for him… as he for her. They belong together. He leaves, and she looks a little wistful.

Nina tells Sonny, all right. Why does he want to talk about them? He says, maybe talk isn’t the right word, and she says, okay. What does he have in mind? He says, her, and kisses her.

Anna tells Felicia, Valentin got a text the other night while they were on their date, and he reacted exactly the same way; he was so flustered. Felicia says, interesting, but Anna says, maybe it’s nothing. Felicia says, don’t downplay her. Anna has good instincts. She knows it’s probably something. Anna asks if that’s a pep talk, and Felicia says, she’s just validating Anna’s instincts. And whatever Valentin is up to, it has nothing to do with his feelings for Anna. Anna asks, what makes her say that? and Felicia says she could see it in his face just now; he’s crazy about her. Anna says, she’s crazy about him too, but she can’t ignore the fact he brings a lot of complications with him. Felicia says, Victor? and Anna says, yeah. And as long as Valentin’s in her life, so is his father, and that’s the man she thinks is responsible for murdering Luke. Felicia says, you and me both, but Valentin is not his father. Anna says, but family ties are hard to break.

Victor knocks at Valentin’s hotel room door, and Valentin says, long time, no see. Victor apologizes for the change in location, but they couldn’t very well discuss their business in front of Anna and Felicia. Valentin says, it wouldn’t do for them to catch on to their plans, and invites Victor in.

Sasha sees Michael at the hospital, and asks, how’s Willow? He says, she knows Willow. She says she’s fine, but can Sasha tell him anything more about her collapse? Sasha says, she didn’t look well at the pool. She was upset about what happened at the Quartermaines? Next thing Sasha knew, she passed out. He thanks her for being there for Willow, but she says, actually, it was Sonny who caught Willow before she hit the ground. He brought her into the hospital; he was very worried about her. Michael asks if Willow told Sasha anything about how she’s been feeling, and Sasha says, she insists that she ate. He says, well, she lied. Willow told him that she didn’t remember if she ate or not. Sasha says, that’s not good, and when Willow tries not to worry him, the more worried he gets. He says, exactly, and this is the second time she collapsed. He’s trying not to get too dark about it… Sasha says, it’s hard, and he says, what if something is really wrong with her?

Willow tells TJ, don’t make her wait. What do the test results say? He says he can’t make a definitive diagnosis until all of her results are back, but this could explain why she fainted. She says, is it serious? and he says, in a good way. She’s pregnant.

I’d actually thought that was a possibility, but she looked so God-awful, I figured it must be some horrible illness.

Tomorrow, Trina tells Curtis that she has to do something now; Sam tells Spinelli that he’s not going anywhere; and Britt says, if Spencer doesn’t leave in 20 seconds, she’s throwing him out.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Garcelle meets up with friend Sheree (not of the She by), who was married to Will Smith, and has a son with him. We see a clip of Sheree and son Trey, and Sheree tells Garcelle that she and Will have no relationship outside of that with Trey. In Garcelle’s interview, she says, she and Will dated after the divorce, but she didn’t know Sheree then. She tells Sheree that she and Will set the t one for co-parenting; even though they’re not together, they’re still family. She wanted to mirror that with her own situation. We see a clip of Garcelle with Mike and the kids, and in her interview, she says, she raised the boys with Mike, and feels they’re in a good place. That’s all she wants. She tells Sheree that she’s excited about her birthday. She wants to go all out, dance, and have her friends there. Son Oliver is flying in. Sheree thinks it’s going to be a fabulous time, and Garcelle thinks there won’t be any drama. Did she forget which show she was on?

Crystal makes a cooking video for Instagram. Her brother Jeff is visiting, and Rob gets home after being away for a while. In Crystal’s interview, she says, Jeff was in China releasing an album. It’s great he’s home. Rob tells them about meeting with the publisher of a children’s book, How Winston Delivered Christmas, that they’re turning into a film. He jokes around, pronouncing Norfolk like Norf***, and insisting that’s the correct way to say it. In her interview, Crystal tells us, she always says she has four kids, including Rob. Rob wants to hear about Mexico, and Crystal says, it was challenging, but everything worked out. Rob asks how Diana did, and Crystal says, it was like her first trip. We flash back to her perceived violation, and she says, Diana just went through a miscarriage, and it was hard on her; she wanted to leave a few times. She learned that when you jab at Diana, it turns nuclear.

Kyle bastes a turkey, so I assume it’s around Thanksgiving. Or they have one hell of a spread on Sundays. Kyle tells Mauricio that it’s going to be Garcelle’s birthday, and the guys are coming. He asks, who else is going? and Kyle says she guesses Diana isn’t coming. She sent Diana text on Sunday, telling her to rest up for Garcelle’s party. She wrote back in a group text, saying it’s not something she would normally talk about this way, but her doctor has her on bed rest. She had continued bleeding after her miscarriage and four major surgeries to save her uterus. This isn’t a thing she’d normally do in a group text, but… In Garcelle’s interview, she reads, Garcelle – misspelled – might think I’m rude. So there it is. Kyle tells Mauricio, it’s super awkward.

Erika is doing a photo shoot, and in her interview, she says, she’s proud to be back in business with Pretty Mess. It’s a great distraction from the heavy stuff. There were moments when she wondered how she’d pull herself out. There were a lot of people she did business with, but the phone wasn’t ringing. No one was going to magically save her. She had a special connection to her grandmother; she was tough, but big hearted. She tells her crew that it used to embarrass her how her grandmother would pull over to take a chair from the side of the road. But then she would reupholster it, and it would be stunning. She was beyond creative, and also loved the garden. In Erika’s interview, she says, her grandmother helped her move to L.A.; they drove cross country together. She digs out a letter she’d written to her grandmother: Hi. I love you. I’m never coming back. She knows if she could talk to her grandmother, she’d say not to give up the fight. She’d be whooping Erika’s ass.

Sutton visits Dorit, and says she needs a vacation from the vacation. I know the feeling, but that’s because I had too much fun, not because I was having a screaming match. Dorit introduces mom Rachel to Sutton, and in Dorit’s interview, she says, after the break-in, she knew she had to call her family. She grew up with a strong sense of family, and they’ve stayed close. We see a clip of Rachel giving Dorit a piece of her grandmother’s jewelry, and Dorit says, her mother worries about everything, yet when her grandmother had a heart attack in a plane, Rachel looked after her. Dorit thought she would have crumbled under the pressure, but she took full control. Dorit asks how Sutton is feeling about Diana, and Sutton says she’s not happy. On the plane back, it was like trying to sit at the cool kids’ table, when she was told, no, go to her original seat. She thinks it was punishment. Diana got in the crossfire – we flash back to that – and Sutton apologized immediately. Diana seemed fine with it. Dorit says, Diana hurt Sutton’s feelings, and Sutton says, she thought everything was okay. In her interview, Dorit says, Diana told her to wherever she wanted. Sutton refers to Diana’s text, where she said it was so Garcelle doesn’t think she’s rude, and Dorit says, Garcelle’s birthday party is coming up. She wonders if Diana is going to be  there. Sutton says, she was watching Diana, and thought she was gentle, but now she wonders if Diana is a sniper. Thanks for the plane. Next time she’ll get her own.

Garcelle tells the family about the cast of The Real bringing out balloons and a video, and Oliver surprising her by coming out with flowers. We see a clip of that, and in Garcelle’s interview, she says, seeing where Oliver is now, is everything. She’s seen him struggle over the years, and to see happy and thriving now, she’s proud of him. She goes upstairs with her tailor Eliseo to get her dress fitted for the party.

Sutton calls Kyle, who says, Denise is coming, but she’s guessing Diana’s not coming. Sutton said she’d sent Diana a text to be nice, and Diana said see you tonight, but she doesn’t want to make a mountain out of molehill.

Garcelle’s cake looks like a Birkin bag, and I want to eat the handles. In Kyle’s interview, she says, it’s adorable, but she’d rather wear one than eat one. Garcelle arrives, looking spectacular in a white off-the-shoulder dress, and Diana comes in shortly after. In Diana’s interview, she says, she think Garcelle believes she’s a diva, but she wants to honor Garcelle’s birthday, so no one can call her rude. In Garcelle’s interview, she says, she thinks there’s a language barrier. Maybe her doctor didn’t say bed rest, but take a nap. She’s happy the bitch has rallied. Diana presents Garcelle with a copy of her Room 23 book, surrounded by flowers, and tells Garcelle that she even signed it. In her interview, Diana says, the book is sold out; it’s a very limited edition. She gave Garcelle one of her copies. It’s very special. In her interview, Garcelle says, it would be nicer to get a bag, but she’ll take the book. On Sutton’s interview, she says, Diana is on her deathbed, and two days later, she’s ready to party. Maybe Jesus came. He still heals. Erika tells Crystal that her legal problems are far from over, but she’s feeling better. Garcelle tells Kyle that Kathy sent her a cake, and in Garcelle’s interview, she says, she doesn’t have a Birkin. She can’t wrap her head around paying that much for a bag. Mama needs a Birkin. She tells Erika, if she can’t have the bag, she’ll have the cake, and we find out the cake is $500, which is more than I’d pay for a bag. Crystal says, Garcelle is manifesting, and Garcelle introduces Sheree around. Diana points out that her Birkin was $250K, and in her interview, she says, when there were fires in Malibu, she had a trunk of Birkins, Banksys, and diamonds. Sheree says she thinks 2020 was bad for everyone, but there was also a spiritual awakening. She made peace with her vagina. Crystal (I think) asks if she was at war with it. Erika brings up Pantygate of all things. Just when you think you won’t hear about something again… PK arrives on cue, but wisely leaves pretty quickly.

Diana tells Kyle and Mauricio that she doesn’t do jabs; she brings the bazookas. Kyle mentions Diana telling Sutton to sit in her assigned seat on the plane, and Diana says, in her phone, Sutton is Bacon Eating Vegetarian. She’s learned it’s better to take a breath, since she wants to come on like destruction. Mauricio suggests she take it slower, and Diana says, understand where they’re coming from… then you kill. It’s cake cutting time, and afterward everyone dances and acts stupid, and Diana tells everyone what her bag is worth again. In Crystal’s interview, she says, Rob loves to dance. Their friends call him Hip-Hop Rob. Kyle does the splits, and in her interview, she tells us, every time she says she’s never going to do the splits again, something happens. She has other tricks up her sleeve; she just hasn’t pulled them out yet. She can wrap her leg around the back of her neck, but that costs money.

Sutton asks to talk to Diana, and they sit on a loveseat. Sutton says she wanted to check on Diana, since she was on bed rest. Diana says she still is, and in her interview, she says, obviously, Sutton thinks highly of herself to think Diana owes her something. Does she want to see a doctor’s note? Um… I think she’s reading way too much into this. Diana says she lost a baby 12 weeks ago, and Sutton says she’s had two miscarriages, but Diana says, it’s more than that. Fake doesn’t work with her. Bring it on. In Diana’s interview, she says she’s done being nice. Get ready to meet a different person. It’s a new game. Sutton says, this isn’t a conversation, and Diana says she’s Bosnian, and doesn’t respond to yelling. Sutton tells her, she said she was sorry, but Diana says, she’s not sorry. Sutton is the fakest person she’s ever met, and she’s boring. She’ll forgive everything but boring. She regrets talking to Sutton and Garcelle on the boat, and talking about a painful memory. We flash back to Diana talking about her brother being killed, and in her interview, she says, she tried to open up on the boat. Sutton talks a lot, but Diana doesn’t think she listens; she doesn’t have empathy. Sutton says, Diana talking about her brother resonated with her, and in Sutton’s interview, she says she’s not fake. She doesn’t have fake anything. Diana’s fake, so okay, projection. Kyle plops down on another loveseat, and Sutton says she wants to talk to Diana one-on-one. Garcelle joins them, and asks, what’s happening? Diana says she told Sutton that she was boring. Rude, isn’t she? Garcelle tells her, she said that because Dorit was trying to engage, and Diana shut her down. Diana has a chip on her shoulder that they have nothing do with it. Sutton says, this is a different Diana. Bed rest did her good. I laugh. I have sympathy for Diana, if all that did happen to her, but it’s no excuse for her acting like some bizarre queen. When they come in swinging, I always wonder if they want screen time. And the way she talks about being Bosnian is the way Sophie talks about being Polish on 2 Broke Girls. All roads lead there.

Diana calls Sutton a bacon eating vegetarian for the 452nd time, and Garcelle asks what that has to do with it; it’s stupid. Does Sutton show a lack of integrity because she likes bacon? Kyle suggests they reassess the situation, and Sutton says, she was having a calm conversation. She said she was sorry about Diana being on bed rest. Diana says, Sutton should apologize for being fake, and Garcelle says, that’s a sh*tty thing to say. Diana just met Sutton. Sutton puts her hand on Diana’s knee, and Diana says, don’t touch her. Garcelle says, wow, which prompts Diana to ask if Garcelle is Sutton’s bodyguard. She knows Sutton is frail… Garcelle says, Diana is being mean, and Diana says she is. Garcelle says, she’s not doing this, and gets up. She says, this is her birthday, and her kids are here. She leaves, and in her interview, she says, Diana seemed sophisticated and worldly. This is not a good look. As she walks away, she says, what a bitch.

Sutton says, she’s done here. Diana is an a-hole, and she’s got Diana’s number. Diana says she gave it to Sutton. Garcelle goes to sit with Erika and the others, and Erika orders another margarita. Garcelle asks if they noticed anyone missing… Denise. Erika says, she told Garcelle, and in Garcelle’s interview, she says she stood up for Denise, and her not showing up hurt her feelings. Erika tells Garcelle that she said Denise would never show. Denise isn’t a friend to her. Garcelle says she’s good, and Erika says, if she’s not, she’s a punk ass. F*** her ass. In her interview, Garcelle says, calm down. Where did I told you so come from? She doesn’t think Erika ever said that. Sutton and Diana go back and forth with some really stupid nyah-nyah, no, you stuff, and Diana says she gave birth to a dead baby. She asks Sutton if it’s too much information, and Sutton says she has empathy. How dare Diana question that? Diana says, Sutton has no empathy, and Sutton says, Diana is soulless. For whatever reason, this freaks Kyle out, and she tells Sutton that she can’t say that. Diana says, they need a new villain? Here she is. What did I say about screen time?

To be continued…

🙃 Alrighty Then…

It’s been a long night, but come back tomorrow for some fresh-as-a-daisy soap and some Charm. Until then, stay safe, stay sociable outside of social media, and stay knowing being mad at someone doesn’t mean you don’t love them. (Just don’t get mad on the Quartermaine scale.)

November 30, 2021 – Drew Comes Home To Monica, Brock’s Mad Max Birthday Pool Party & Back Again

Standard

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Monica sees someone holding pizza boxes through the front window, and says, look at that. She didn’t even have to order this year; they just knew to deliver the pizza. She opens the door, and Drew is there. He says he rolled the dice, and brought some with him. Olivia and Ned come out, and Olivia says, thank God; she’s famished. Brook and Chase come downstairs, and Brook says, pizza’s here. Ned says, Drew? and Drew says, at least someone in the family still recognizes him. He’s… Monica says, home, and hugs him.

Dante tells Sam that Danny and Scout are asleep, and he put Rocco in the spare room. He didn’t say anything about Jason, but he thinks they know something is going on. Sam says, because they didn’t go to the Quartermaines? and Dante says, yeah. He thought Danny figured the dinner was just going to be ruined as usual. He said he was looking forward to having some pizza. She says she ordered turkey burgers, and throws her glass against the wall, smashing it.

At the hospital, Obrecht is yelling in her sleep, when Britt comes in and wakes her up. She tells Obrecht that she was having a nightmare, and Obrecht says she was back in the tunnel. Has Britt had any nightmares? Britt says she’s good. She’s more worried about Obrecht. Why didn’t she say she was lightheaded after the tunnel collapsed? She was running around, taking care of Britt, when she knew she was injured herself. Obrecht says Britt was more important. They haven’t really talked since leaving that cursed island. Britt says Obrecht needs rest, not visitors. She just popped in to see how Obrecht was doing. Go back to sleep; no more nightmares. Obrecht says she hopes none for Britt as well.

Carly weeps at the patio table, and flashes back on Jason saying goodbye before he left for Greece. Sonny comes out, and holds her as she cries. I have zero sympathy.

In her office, Britt tries to go through messages on the computer, and has them forwarded to Terry. She writes, dear staff, please send all of your requests to Dr. Terry Randolph, as at the moment, I am a total mess and completely incapable of making any decisions. She grabs a tissue to wipe her tears, when Austin comes in. He says, she was just on the tenth floor, and now she’s here. How did she do that? She asks what he wants, and he says, he guesses he wants to know what’s wrong, and if there’s anything he can do to help.

Monica says she still can’t believe it wasn’t a plane crash; that Drew was abducted by Peter August. Ned says, and fought for two years to come home. If Drew hadn’t managed to get ahold of that guard’s cellphone, and called Sam… Olivia says, he could still be in that hellhole. Brook wonders why Sam wouldn’t have told them he called, but Drew asks them not to blame Sam. She just did it to protect all of them until she knew for sure he was alive. Believe him, there were many days when even he didn’t know if he was going to make it back. Monica wishes Jason could be there to share the Thanksgiving pizza, but he’s got to be with this children. Drew looks down, and she asks if there’s something he’s not saying? Drew says, what his rescue cost this family.

Sam asks if she woke the kids, but Dante says, they’re fast asleep. Sam says, thank God for small favors, and starts to clean up the mess, but Dante takes the dustpan from her. He tells to her to go sit, stare into space, eat, cry, do whatever she feels she needs to do, to feel better. Throw another glass. She says she thinks she got throwing glasses out of her system, and Dante starts cleaning up. She says she had such tunnel vision when she was talking to Drew. All she wanted was for Scout’s father to come home to her. Never in a million years did she think it would come at the cost of Jason losing his life. Now Scout’s father is alive, and Danny’s father is dead. Is it some kind of cosmic joke or something? He says, if it is, it’s a pretty awful one, and she says she has to tell her son that his father is gone. Is Danny going to hate Scout because her father lived and his died? He says, no, and leads her to the couch to sit. He says, Danny isn’t going to waste his energy on hate. He’s got this amazing mother; so does Scout. She’s going to love them so much, and teach them there’s no room in their lives for hate.

Carly asks what Sonny’s connections in Greece said, and he says, they confirmed Anna’s story that the tunnel under the house collapsed. Everybody got out but Jason, and they still haven’t found the body. She says, that means Jason could still be alive, but he says, the equipment didn’t pick up a heartbeat in the tunnel. So they’re going to stop the rescue operation, and Jason’s dead. She says, no. They told her the same thing about Sonny, and it turned out not to be true. He says he wants to believe Jason’s still out there too. He was dead before and came back to them. She says he did, and he asks if she’s just trying to give herself hope. She says, after that bridge collapsed, she could hear him calling to her; she could feel he was still alive. He says, she was the lady in white that he needed to see, and she says, that’s because they’re connected. They have a connection; she can feel him. It was everyone else who told her that he was gone. Everyone kept saying it. He asks if she’s saying the same thing about Jason. Is she saying there’s hope? She says, that’s what she wants to believe.

Obrecht hears the door open, and says, if it’s Britt again, there’s nothing wrong with her that sleeping in her own bed won’t fix. Scotty comes over to the bed, and says, what about the guy who loves her? Welcome back, my schnitzel. He sits on the bed, and they kiss.

Britt tells Austin, walk back out the door, and pretend she wasn’t here. And if he tells anyone what he saw, she’ll have him fired. He says her secret is safe with him, but the next time she wants to have herself a good cry – he closes the door – maybe she wants to shut the door. She says, thanks for the unwanted advice, and he wonders if he should take a guess as to what some of these larger emotions are about, but she says, no. He says, it’s Thanksgiving, and no one’s invited her to dinner, and so she’s sitting there feeling sorry for herself. Join the club. He sits down, and she asks, what’s going on with him? Couldn’t make it on the ELQ board? Unable to honor his late lamented father? Boo-hoo-hoo. He says, sticks and stones. It’s been a very challenging couple of days, to be honest. The Quartermaines stuck a knife in his back, and then they twisted it, and then they invited him to Thanksgiving dinner. She says, oh horror, and he says, and in the middle of this, he might have screwed up the only friendship he has in this terrible town. She asks if he’s referring to Maxie. What happened? Does he want her to talk to Maxie? He says, no; thank you though. He’ll figure it out and make amends. What’s going on? Why is she sitting there crying instead of splitting a wishbone with someone? She says, the first person she’s cared to split a wishbone with in a long time is gone, and he died saving her life.

Drew says, the first months at the compound, when he finally had some contact with the other prisoners, there was a very nice young woman, a nurse who was abducted in the middle of her life, and Liesl Obrecht. Brook says, Scotty was shouting from the rooftops that Obrecht was missing, and Drew says, Britt convinced Jason to help her find her mother, and that search led them to Cassadine Island. Monica says, that’s probably why she hasn’t heard from Jason in a while. He probably didn’t want to raise her hopes up about Drew being alive. Drew says, Jason and Britt did everything they possibly could to get him home, but… in the process, Jason… Jason… She says, he’s gone, isn’t he? Jason’s gone.

Carly tells Sonny, it would be crazy to give up hope that Jason’s alive. She’s known Jason since practically the moment he became Jason. Even before she knew Sonny. So she can’t give up hope. Jason is the most important person to them. Josslyn comes in, apologizing for being late. She sees Carly’s face, and says, okay, who died?… Oh my God. Who died? Carly says they need to talk to her.

Monica cries, and Drew says he’s so very sorry. There was nothing left of the last place he saw Jason. It was just a pile of rocks and beams. They had crews on site within the hour, and they had their scanning equipment there. They couldn’t pick up a heartbeat. Jason died bringing him back home to her, but he promises, if he’d known what his freedom was going to cost, he wouldn’t have taken the deal. She tells him, don’t ever say anything like that again. He and Jason are both her sons in every way that matters, and one doesn’t count more than the other.

Monica remembers how happy Jason was, dancing at his reception. He and Carly were having a wonderful time, and he was even socializing. Olivia says she was really impressed by that, and Monica says, she thinks he would have stayed for the whole thing if she hadn’t told them to slip away and go start lives together. Then he told her they would. She cries again, and Olivia says, Carly… and Sonny, it’s just going to kill them. Jason was just like a brother to Sonny, and Carly and Jason… Monica says, Carly and Jason said it was a business arrangement, but you saw the two of them together, and knew it was more than that.

Josslyn says, but it’s Jason; he must have survived. Just like Sonny did. Carly says, he was buried under rock when the tunnel collapsed; there were witnesses. Josslyn cries, and asks if they’ve told Michael, but Carly says they want to tell him in person like they did her. Sonny says, there’s a media blackout for the next 24 hours, so anyone close to Jason will have privacy, and not to give Peter August the publicity he’s craving. Carly says, Michael, Willow, and Wiley will be back tomorrow; they’ll tell them then. Josslyn says she can’t believe this is happening, not to Jason. Carly holds her as she cries.

Sam thanks Dante for saying there’s enough room in her kids’ life for love, and he says, that’s true. She’s an incredible mother. Don’t let anyone tell her otherwise. She says, despite her family being dysfunctional. She’s talking about the family she grew up with, not the family she has now, which in their own right, are equally dysfunctional. He says, despite her family dysfunction, she turned out to be an incredible person, and she tells him, says the guy who’s not so objective. He says he knows she put her kids before Jason when she showed Jason the door, and she says, it’s because Jason wouldn’t cut ties with Sonny. She understood that, and also understood that there would always be a threat that Jason would be arrested again, or in the middle with one of Sonny’s very violent rivals, and she had to do what was best for her kids to keep them out of harm’s way. Dante says, that was a good move, and she says, they both know Jason is the kind of person who will put his life first to save someone else, but she needed someone in her family who would think twice before doing something like that. He says, good for her, and she says, in the end, she knew this was how it was going to go for Jason. To be honest, if they were still together, there’s no way she would be able to recover.

Monica says, she remembers the first day Jason ever became her son. Scotty, of all people, was his guardian at the time, and they went to the gatehouse to check on him, and he was the most beautiful baby. The minute she took him in her arms, he stole her heart. Brook says, occasionally, she would see him dropping Danny off, or playing with Leo, or stopping by to talk to Monica or Michael, and Ned says, Michael. Do they tell him? Monica says, no. Let’s let Michael and Willow have a good time with Wiley. Besides, she thinks Carly would want to be the one to tell him. She’s not going to have any new memories of Jason; just remember the conversations they had. The good part is, every time they were together, she told him that she loved him. Drew says, all his memories of Jason are so full of anger and resentment. Now that they started to finally connect as brothers, he’s gone. Monica sighs, officially taking over from Jason in that department.

Austin digs in his pockets, and Britt asks what he’s looking for. He says, like a kewpie doll, or a beta fish, some kind of little prize for the saddest Thanksgiving story. Sorry. That’s inappropriate. He makes jokes that aren’t always funny. It’s a default coping mechanism. She says, same here. It hasn’t always won her a ton of friends, but she prefers his morbid humor over tearful hugs any day. He asks who it was, and she says, Jason Morgan. She’s sorry; Austin is sort of family, isn’t he? He says, cousins, half-cousins, or something like that. He’s not sure. He never really got to know the guy. They had a conversation at the gym one time, and he was Maxie’s plus one at Jason’s wedding… Now it’s his turn to apologize. Sorry. He’s a little confused. He got the sense something was going on between Britt and Jason, then Jason up and married Carly. She says, she thought she and Jason had something special. They did actually, but he married Carly, and she’s still struggling to understand why. He says, if that’s the only thing she’s struggling to understand, she’s way ahead of him, and she says she just never thought Jason would die before her. He asks how she figured that out?

Scotty says, he can’t believe he was chucked out of a plane, and Obrecht says, and she was taken to Greece. He says, and all the other calamities that would have killed the average Joe. She says, he survived, and he says, so did she. She says, love conquers all, so they say, and he tells her, he didn’t used to believe that, but he thinks it’s true. She says, keep talking like that, and she’ll demand to be released from this bed to spend time in his. He says, why make that journey? and pulls off his jacket, climbing into bed with her.

Britt tells Austin, she doesn’t know what she means; her brain’s a muddled mess. He says, Jason was a hitman for the mob, and she says, alleged hitman. He says, you have to figure, given Jason’s career choices and line of work, he’d be the first one to go. This is inappropriate again; he’s sorry. She tells him, don’t apologize. She appreciates honesty over platitudes. The thing is, Jason’s body hasn’t been recovered yet, but she knows he’s gone. Austin says, she’s a doctor who’s worked in trauma; she knows. And they both know every life counts. It doesn’t matter how much you hope. She says she’s not a particularly hopeful person, but there’s no wishing away several tons of rock. He says he’s going home, and going to order a turkey burger and sweet potato fries. Does she like football? She’s welcome to join him. He’s going to stream all the games. She thanks him, but says, there’s something she has to go to, and leaves.

Drew tells Ned, Peter had them chained up in a wine cellar; they were literally chained to the wall. Ironically, those were the best conversations he and Jason had. Mostly they were talking about how they were going to bring down Peter, but they also just talked. He told Jason about playing football in high school, and Jason told him about the time he rode a motorcycle into the house. Ned says he remembers that; grandfather was furious. Drew says, they were just starting to know each other and trust each other. When Peter activated his conditioning, Jason was the one who brought him out of it. They were just starting to team up; be the brothers they were meant to be. Ned says, that is something to be grateful for, and Drew says, he spent so much time resenting Jason, until Cassadine Island, until he was able to respect Jason wholeheartedly. Now he has no future with Jason at all. Jason is gone, just as they were starting to connect as brothers and as friends.

Josslyn says, sorry for crying all over Carly’s blouse, but Carly says Josslyn can cry on her anytime. Sonny asks if she wants something to eat, but Josslyn says, no. She thinks she’ll just go upstairs. She tells them that she loves them both, and Carly says, they love her too. Josslyn leaves, and Sonny says he forgot how important Jason was to all of them. Carly kisses his forehead, and he asks if she’s going to be all right. She says, yeah, and he says, he’s going upstairs and reading Donna a bedtime story. Carly tells him to give Donna a kiss for her.

Dante tells Sam not to underestimate herself. She’s strong and resilient, and would have survived; no problem. Sam tells him, don’t say that to make her feel better, and he asks if he’s ever said anything to make her feel better. She says, that’s true, and he says, it seems she has a lot of thoughts she needs to work through, and she says she has so many thoughts racing in her head, she can’t grab ahold of just one. He says he’ll leave her to it, and she asks where he’s going. He says he figured she wanted to wrestle through those thoughts in private, and asks if he can leave Rocco there and pick him up in the morning. He’ll stop at the Quartermaines and tell them she said hello. She says, no. Stay. Please. She wants him to stay.

Sonny comes back to the kitchen, saying, Donna fell asleep before… The kitchen is empty, and he puts his head in his hands, mourning the loss of Jason, and the moss bowl 🎍.

Monica says, if the deaths of those they love have taught them anything, it’s to appreciate the family they have. They’re going to be grieving a long time, but she thinks today, a day of giving thanks, she’d like to focus on the gratitude she feels for the son coming home. To Drew. They toast to Drew, and Drew says, to Jason.

Dante asks if Sam is sure she wants him to stay, and she says, if he wants to go, he can, but he says, he doesn’t want to. He just wanted to give her space. She says, there’s enough space to include him, and he tells her, that’s the nicest thing anyone’s said to him in a long time. She says, they’ve bene through hell and back. There’s no other shoulder she’d rather cry on than his. He says, his shoulder will always be there for her.

Brook says she’s going to check on Bailey, and Ned says, maybe Chase would like to see the daughter he only just learned is his. She says, of course (🍷); he can feed her. Chase says, he’d love to, and they go upstairs. Drew says, the family has gotten bigger since he left, and Monica says, it’s a refreshing change of pace. Olivia says she can’t believe Drew is alive and home safe. How did Robert and Anna figure out Peter was hiding on Cassadine Island? Drew says he doesn’t know the details, just that Valentin was very helpful. Ned asks if Valentin knows Drew is back.

Sonny leaves Carly a voicemail, saying, he knows she needs to clear her head, but just call so he knows she’s okay.

Carly goes to the footbridge.

Sonny gets a call from and unknown number. When he answers, Cyrus says, hello, Sonny.

Dante kisses Sam, and says he’s sorry if he overstepped, but she says, he didn’t. She wants this too. We see the fireplace, and I assume they get busy.

Drew says, Anna told him something about Valentin helping her and Robert find their way off Cassadine Island, so he’s assuming she told Valentin he’s alive and back home. Why did Ned ask? Ned says, just curious, and Drew asks, what was the disaster that ruined Thanksgiving this year? Monica says, Annabelle II got to the turkey before them, and Drew says, of course (🍷). She knew there was a tradition to uphold. Monica says, Annabelle is going to be over the moon to see Drew, and they go to look for her. My guess is, she’s working on the pumpkin pie. Olivia tells Ned, stop. What is he planning? She knows that look. Ned… Ned says, it’s about ELQ, but he doesn’t want her to get the wrong impression. He’s not backsliding, and he’s not prioritizing business over family. She says, his face lit up like a firecracker the minute Drew mentioned Valentin’s name. The war isn’t over yet, is it?

Austin knocks on Obrecht’s room door, and says, he doesn’t mean to disturb her. He opens the door, and says, sorry. Obrecht and Scotty pop up from under the covers, and say, get out, at the same time. Austin says, so sorry, and leaves. In the hallway, he says, all righty. Good for them.

At the footbridge, we go down Jason Memory Lane with Carly, and there’s a song part. She turns, and sees Britt.

Sonny says, is that Cyrus? How did he get a phone? Cyrus says, don’t worry about that. They both know he has ways. He thought it would be prudent for him to reach out to Sonny, and Sonny asks, why’s that? Cyrus says he still has contacts, a few, those who are interested in those sorts of things. He heard the news about Sonny’s best friend. His condolences to Sonny, and to his lovely wife. No doubt she’s just as upset as Sonny. Sonny says, listen you son of a bitch. Either Cyrus hangs up or they get cut off, and Sonny throws the phone.

Tomorrow, Ava and Nikolas arrive for Thanksgiving, Monica is sure Drew is anxious to get back to his old life, Mac wants to question Chase and Brook about Valentin, and Sonny says, if Cyrus wants a war, he’ll give Cyrus a war.

Vanderpump Rules

Pilates instructor Betsy met with Katie, Scheana, and Lala, while Brock, James and Schwartz played golf. James was on his game, and thought it was because he’d been sober for a while. Sandoval joined them, and in his interview, he said, he hates golf, but loves golf fashion. Pilates looked a lot easier using machines. Although it’s the type of fitness program that seems harmless while you’re doing it, and the next day, you say, what the hell? After the session, Lala said she’d had a good conversation with Brock, then Sandoval ruined the night by bringing up the same old sh*t, which Lala called getting on the hamster wheel. Sure enough, Sandoval whined to the guys about Lala saying he was on a hamster wheel. Katie said Sandoval probably kept notes. He had history too, and should make sure he could pass his own test. In Lala’s interview, she said, Sandoval was so sanctimonious, the name of the bar should be Sanctimonoval. Katie told the girls about the Toms’ partner Greg wanting her to be on board, and Lala said it would eat Sandoval alive. In Scheana’s interview, she said she had her own history with Katie and Lala being mean girls, and we flashed back to that. She wanted to tell them, STFU, but she couldn’t get it out. Schwartz wanted to have a creative session, and James was down for testing mocktails. In Sandoval’s interview, he said he wanted off-the-wall, presentational cocktails. Then spilled the one next to him. At the golf game, they decided to see whose ball could go further, and the winner got to shoot a ball off a tee placed in the loser’s butt crack. I am not making this up. James was the winner, Sandoval the loser (his ball basically just falling off the tee), and Brock filmed on his phone. Good times…

Katie told Schwartz that Greg liked her, and wanted her to be involved with the new bar. She thought it was in everyone’s best interest that she was included as much as possible. In Katie’s interview, she said, Greg liked her ideas, and it not only validated her, but annoyed TF out of Sandoval. It was mocktail tasting night, and Sandoval showed up at Schwartz and Katie’s for the shallow dive. Katie didn’t want to sample cocktails, since she wasn’t feeling well, and in Sandoval’s interview, he said Katie had literally been begging to be a part of the bar. She got a seat at the table, and now didn’t want to play. Schwartz said the goal was interesting flavor combinations. Somehow, the bar name thing came up again, and Katie said she liked the idea of naming it Once Upon a Tom, but Sandoval said everyone liked Schwartz and Sandy’s, ignoring the opinion of pretty much everyone except himself. Katie said Sandoval was the only one who liked it, and Schwartz said he liked it now. Sandoval basically said he was the idea man, and Schwartz couldn’t have even proposed without him. Katie said Sandoval had great ideas, but didn’t take criticism well. Sandoval said she could be on the Schwartz and Sandy’s train or get off. Katie told them, good luck with their bar.

Ariana and Sandoval were having a Mad Max party for Brock’s birthday, but Scheana didn’t understand Mad Max. In Brock’s interview, he explained, if you planned it too well, that wasn’t okay. It was whatever you found on the street. It was difficult to explain. He felt it was a vibe. Scheana said she was over theme parties. Nothing fit, and she wanted to feel like her again. Brock modeled a pair of underwear (budgies) that he had made with her face on them. Seriously, I’m not making this stuff up.

Schwartz told Katie that he didn’t like how things ended, and thought she’d instigated it. He loved that she had his back, but it was all good. She said he didn’t have her back, and in her interview, she said, the whole thing is bullsh*t. Schwartz felt it was counterproductive, and said he knew they’d talked about opening a sandwich shop. He promised they’d do something in the future, but thought it best that Katie and Sandoval didn’t work together. She said it was his loss.

James met with family friend Peter, and in his interview, James said that Peter and his dad were friends back in the day. They laid down tracks together, but also partied, and Peter was 20 years sober. James said, Peter was someone he considered important to his sobriety. He told Peter that he’d been struggling with getting frustrated. He’d lost patience with Raquel when she played a drinking game. Peter said, as addicts, there was never a still moment. When you quit something, it came out in other ways. He’d tried to quit drinking ten times without AA, and relapsed. James said he still smoked weed, and Peter asked if James felt powerless over weed. It muted the scream inside, but didn’t make it go away. He suggested James try a temporary period of full sobriety, and James agreed, but literally cried, saying he’d been smoking as long as he could remember. Peter said, sobriety is the best weed ever, and James said he was glad to be able to see it was possible.

Katie visited Lala, while the Toms set up for the alcohol-included cocktail tasting at Sandoval and Ariana’s. Schwartz said Katie wasn’t coming; she was really upset. Lala told Katie that she went to bat for Schwartz more than he did her. If Randal did that, she’d be having a come to Jesus moment with him. Schwarz said Katie might have resentment because they’d talked about opening a place. In Ariana’s interview, she said, if she was supposed to be doing something with Sandoval, and he decided to do something with Schwartz instead, she’d be pissed too. Katie told Lala that she was done, and didn’t even want to hear about the bar. Scheana, Brock, and Raquel joined the tasting, while James played VR games at home. In his interview, Brock demonstrated drinking beer out of his shoe, and I felt sick. Lala did an imitation of Sandoval, saying, it took six months to create this cocktail. The lavender was imported from Thailand, brown sugar was added, and butter melted in, then it was injected with tequila. It took a long time. Scheana told the tasting group about Katie and Lala trash talking Sandoval after Pilates. Sandoval said it was what they did, and Schwartz said Sandoval was making a sweeping generalization. Sorta, kinda having Katie’s back. In Schwartz’s interview, he wondered why Scheana didn’t speak up in the moment, instead of waiting to tell the rest of them later. It was weak. He knew this because it’s what he did most of the time.

LVP had opened other side of the garden at SUR, creating a vibrant and eclectic atmosphere. She and Ken stopped by, and Charli waited on them. James brought Raquel flowers while she was on her break, then talked to Lisa and Ken. Puffy! James said he was working on not calling the people he loved names anymore, and told them about his visit with Peter. He explained that he still had a heavy weed habit, and started the day with a wake and bake. Lisa said she thought weed was innocuous, but not if you needed to have it. Agreed. James said he was going to do an experiment, and stop using everything, including cigarettes. Lisa said he might have an epiphany.

At the Mad Max party, Brock had budgies made for all the guys, with their SO’s faces on them, like the pair he had with Scheana’s. Someone got a striped one, so I guess he was single. Katie and Lala confronted Scheana about tattling their Pilates conversation to the others. Scheana said Sandoval was one of her closest friends, and Katie told her that she should have said something at the time. In Katie’s interview, she said, she wanted to feel she could trust Scheana, but if Scheana cared about their friendship, she wouldn’t have thrown Katie under the bus. Charli asked one of Brock’s friends his name, which prompted him to get too friendly with her. Charli handled it well, but was doubly pissed off, since Scheana just stood there and laughed. In Charli’s interview, she said, one, who are you? and two, you never grab or get aggressive with a woman like that.

Lala cornered Schwartz, and asked why he wasn’t defending Katie. He asked if it was wrong to be objective with someone you loved, and she said if Randal disagreed, he let her know behind closed doors. Schwartz stutteringly agreed. In Lala’s interview, she said she had been good friends with Katie for a minute now, but that Katie couldn’t be vulnerable with her partner because she felt she had to be in defense mode, was heartbreaking to her. She told Schwartz that she couldn’t hear him with Sandoval’s d*ck in his mouth.

Next time, an ice bucket dip; the girls become obsessed with the foot rating website, and Ariana says, it’s the dumbest most amazing thing they’ve ever done; and Schwartz has to get a tattoo because he lost a bet.

✂️ Cutting Out Early…

Tomorrow will bring soap for sure, but the RHOC begins a new season as well. I’m always iffy about that one, so it will probably be just highlights. Whatever Wives you prefer, even if none at all, stay safe, stay up-to-date on what’s happening, and stay appreciating the family you have, whether it’s the one you were born into, or the one you’ve chosen.

May 24, 2021 – Cyrus Finds a Way To Shut Gladys Up, Empowered Bickering On Deck, Billboard’s Best & Blank

Standard

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Someone falls down a flight of stairs.

7 hours earlier. Carly walks into a hotel room with Gladys, and says, it’s simple. They’re going to go over what Gladys is going to say to the police with Carly’s lawyer. Gladys asks why Carly and her security are hovering over her. Is Carly afraid she’s going to run off or something? Carly says, exactly, but Gladys can’t afford to run. They need to put Cyrus behind bars before he finds out Brando is the father of Sasha’s baby.

At the hospital, Cyrus says he has a meeting shortly, and wants Brando to meet with HRS; they’re setting up interviews for the Chief of Staff position. Brando asks if he’s heard something about Britt, and Cyrus says Britt ran off with Jason, aided and abetted the escape of a known felon, and a suspected murderer. Whatever happens next, she won’t be returning to GH. Cyrus leaves, and Sasha comes out of the elevator. Brando asks if everything is okay with the baby, and she asks what he’s doing there. He can’t be there.

Spinelli arrives at Maxie’s apartment, and she hugs him. He says, his sincere condolences on the loss of her godfather. She thanks him, and says she appreciates him and Ellie taking James for a few nights. She hates to be away from James, but she knows he’s in good hands. Spinelli says, Georgie is always excited to have her little brother visit, and they’re happy that Maxie is availing herself of some much needed rest and relaxation. It’s well-deserved. He imagines once the baby is born, it will be a while before she sleeps through the night. He imagines she’ll have her hands full with James and little Louise. Every moment a miracle. Maxie turns away from him.

Britt sits cross-legged by a waterfall, when Jason comes along. He says, Britt, and she tells him, shh. She’s becoming one with nature. He sits on a bench, and she asks what he’s doing. He says, nothing, but she says he’s being distracting. He asks if she wants to be alone, but she says, no. She was hoping the sound of the water would drown out her thoughts. It’s not working. She’s thinking about the test results.

Sonny and Nina walk into the Tan-O, and Sonny says he’s surprised the door is locked in the afternoon. Nina says there’s a note, and Sonny reads that Phyllis and Lenny are picking up a part for the jukebox, and will be back by five. Nina says she’s glad they told Lenny and Phyllis that they were on the road, and on their way back, but telling them what they’ve been up to is another thing altogether. Sonny says, they’ll understand when he and Nina tell them about their friend Elijah, but she says, they’re so sweet, and kind, and generous. She dreads telling them that Eli betrayed their trust. Sonny says, it will hurt, but they need to know the truth. The sooner Eli is behind bars, the better.

Spinelli says, a thousand apologies; he didn’t mean to make Maxie cry. She says, it’s nothing, just hormones, and he asks if Peter has done something to make her reconsider giving him a second chance. She says, they agreed not to discuss it, and he says, if he’s made her upset… She says she’s just taking Sean’s death hard. It made her realize how time is passing. A person she admired and looked up to as a little girl is gone from the world, and it makes her sad. People leave even if you want them to stay. See? She’s rambling and emotional; it’s hormones. It’s why she needs the spa get away. Spinelli says, it’s more than hormones. Georgie said she sounds sad when she talks about the baby. She says she doesn’t want Georgie to worry, and he says their daughter is perceptive. He spent years learning the fine art of reading it. He knows what’s going on.

Sasha says she and Brando shouldn’t be seen talking. If Cyrus sees them together, it will only add to his suspicion that Brando is the father of her baby. He says, Cyrus is in his office; he has a meeting. Can’t they talk for five minutes? She says, okay, but not here. They leave for somewhere more private, and Peter sees them. Because not one character on this show has an actual job except Diane.

Carly introduces Diane to Gladys, and Gladys says, Sonny’s lawyer. Carly says, her lawyer, and Gladys says, how could she forget? Carly is in charge of everything these days. Pretty soon she’s going to make everyone curtsey like she’s the Queen of England. Carly says she’ll settle for full disclosure from Gladys, and Diane says, Carly filled her in on the situation. They’re going to go over what Gladys is going to say to the police. Gladys says, no so fast. She’ll do what she can to protect her son and grandchild, but she needs to be practical. She could be accused of committing a crime. Diane says, of course (🍷). She knows perjury and obstruction of justice are both criminal acts, which Gladys committed when she lied in her statement to the police. Gladys says, then she wants to make sure she’s not prosecuted. Diane is supposed to be some fancy, hotshot lawyer. She needs Diane to make some kind of deal to make sure her interests are protected. Diane says, she thinks the DA would be open to negotiation because Cyrus is a big get, and it was Glady’s testimony that linked him to her perjury and obstruction of justice. Cyrus’s conviction is going to generate a lot of publicity, and anyone who had a hand in it will be a hero. Gladys says she never dreamed she’d be famous. Do they think the talk shows will put her on as a guest? She’d love to be interviewed by Joy Behar… Carly says, the only person Gladys is going to be talking to is a coroner, when she’s called to identify Brando’s body, so focus and cooperate with Diane. Gladys says Carly doesn’t have to put it like that, and Diane says, Joy Behar is definitely going to want to interview Gladys; absolutely. That’s why it’s so important that Diane review what Gladys is going to say when she recants her story to the police. Gladys says she’ll just say she made a mistake, but Carly says, it wasn’t a mistake. She has to implicate Cyrus to keep Brando safe. Gladys says, okay. Cyrus paid her to say she saw Jason throwing the gun down the garbage shoot, but it was a lie. Carly says, then Gladys is going to tell them who she really saw – Peter August.

Britt tells Jason, the test results are going to change her life, no matter what they say. If they’re negative, the fear she’s carried for the past five years will be lifted. It will be paradise, like a dream come true, but she’s afraid to hope for it, in case it’s the other outcome. Jason sits next to her, and says, then she’d just deal with it. She says she’d have to; she’d have no choice. Right now, she just wants to enjoy the last few hours of ignorance. She tried meditating, and got nowhere. Does he have any tips on reaching serenity? He says he wouldn’t know. He doesn’t know how to meditate. She says, meditation is seeking clarity and being fully in the moment. From what she sees, that’s where he lives. She wishes she could join him there.

Cyrus’s phone rings, and he says, send him in. Peter says Cyrus summoned him? and Cyrus says, yes, pal. He’d like a small favor.

Sonny says he doesn’t like the idea of hurting Lenny and Phyllis either, especially Phyllis, but she has to know the Eli she rescued years ago isn’t the same man. He might have taken a wrong turn, but Sonny doesn’t care. He wants Eli out of their lives. Nina says he’s absolutely right. Despite the disappointment, they’re better off knowing. She just wishes they could give the police the evidence they found in Eli’s office, but considering how they got it… Her phone rings, and she says, it’s Eli. Sonny tells her not to answer, but she does, asking, what’s up?… Yes, she remembers him telling her about it. Why?… It’s today? What time?… She’s not sure… On second thought, it sounds like fun. She could change and meet him… Okay. She looks forward to seeing him too. She hangs up, and Sonny says, what the hell was that?

In the stairwell, Brando asks if Sasha is there for the baby. Is everything okay? She says she’s getting her medical records transferred to Mercy. She knows an OB/GYN there. Maybe she’s paranoid, but she doesn’t want Cyrus to be able to access to anything about her. Brando doesn’t think it’s paranoid; he thinks it’s smart. He asks if Cyrus said anything to her after he left, and she says, a lot of self-serving garbage about how he wanted to talk to the baby’s father on her behalf. Cyrus implied it was Brando, but she told him it was a one-night stand. He asks if she thinks Cyrus believed her, and she says she’s not sure he’s convinced, but she thinks she established reasonable doubt. He says he has to give her credit for taking the reins on this, and she says, it’s called crisis management; getting ahead of the story. Something she learned at Deception. He says she has guts, the way she stands up for herself, and she says she’s done it her whole life. He says, the way she stood up for him, don’t think he won’t do the same for her. She says, he already has.

Peter says Cyrus called because he thinks Peter owes him. Let’s just be clear. Framing Jason benefited them both. Cyrus says, Peter more than him, but Peter says, yet he’s sure Cyrus appreciates Jason being out of the way. Too bad he can’t capitalize on the opportunity. Cyrus isn’t sure he follows, and Peter asks if he doesn’t have some kind of power behind the scenes at Pentenville. Why doesn’t he just take care of Jason while he’s there, or better yet, at GH. With a little ingenuity, he could have arranged for a  tragic medical error to take place. Cyrus says, how remiss of him not to think of it, and Peter asks if he has any leads on where Jason and his sister are. Cyrus says he’s sure they’re in Canada by now, and Peter says, good. He prefers Jason as far away from Port Charles as possible. Cyrus says he’d prefer Jason dead, and Peter says, that would work too. What can he do for Cyrus? Cyrus says, it would be nice if The Invader exposed the true natures of Carly and Laura. Peter says, in what way? and Cyrus says, Carly declared herself the head of the Corinthos organization, and the honorable Mayor Collins is working with her. Peter asks if Cyrus knows this for a fact, and Cyrus says, the facts are Peter’s department, but he thinks the world should know Carly and Laura’s public personas are pure hypocrisy. They consider themselves above the law, and it’s about time they got their reputations dragged through the mud like they tried to do with his.

Gladys tells Diane, she’ll be saying Jason didn’t do it. He’ll be off the hook. Isn’t that what they want? Diane says, if Gladys wants immunity, she can’t hold back anything, and Gladys says, she’ll tell them that she made the whole thing up, and didn’t see anyone. Carly says, Gladys is protecting Peter now? Is Peter paying her too? Gladys says, no, and Diane says, her testimony led the police to the murder weapon. Obviously, she saw something. Does she want the police investigating her? Gladys says, she’ll tell them everything, but only if she gets immunity, and Diane says, that’s the plan. Robert is out of town, so she’ll be dealing with his ADA and Commissioner Ashford. It’s imperative that Gladys stay out of sight. Diane will call her when it’s time to talk to the authorities. Diane leaves, and Carly says Gladys is doing the right thing. Gladys says Carly seems surprised. Carly really doesn’t think much of her, does she?

Britt tells Jason, it’s beautiful here. It reminds her of camping in Germany. He says, camping? She said in the barn… She says, don’t misunderstand. She’s in no way attracted to roughing it. She prefers all the amenities within easy hiking distance, but she enjoys the forest. It’s full of life, but still peaceful. He says he gets it. He likes to get on his motorcycle, and just ride. When he’s on a dirt road in the middle of nowhere, he’ll park it, and go for a hike in the trees. No plan, no destination, no sound; just the wind. He can feel himself breathe. She says, exactly.

Sonny says, no way in hell is Nina going to Eli’s apartment, but Nina says, it’s not his apartment. It’s a barbecue, and she’s meeting him there. He asks why she said yes ,and she says, it’s a perfect opportunity. The stuff they got from his office, what if there’s more in his house? They can find it, and the police can use it as evidence. Um… I don’t think it works that way when you don’t have a search warrant. She’ll go to the barbecue, and he’ll search Eli’s house. Sonny says they never talked about it. He doesn’t know the layout, and doesn’t have a plan. She says she’s certain he’s more than capable of improvising, and it’s for a worthy cause. Think about how Elijah and his associates ruined all these lives, the family businesses lost, and the small towns gutted to make rich men richer. They want to stop Eli before he does more damage. Sonny says he agrees with everything she said, except the part where she’s a decoy. She says she’s sorry. They can do this. They make a great team. He says he agrees, but this is not happening.

Maxie tells Spinelli, she guesses the high risk pregnancy has been hard on her, but it’s almost over. Spinelli says, coupled with remembrances on how James was born on the side of the road, it must bring up traumatic feelings. Now with Britt missing, Maxie has lost a vital part of her support system. He assumes she was going to deliver the baby. Maxie says, having Britt was a comfort, and Spinelli says, Maxie is afraid of losing the baby, isn’t she? She starts to cry, and says she is, and it’s breaking her heart.

Sonny tells Nina to say she can’t make it, and she says, excuse me? She doesn’t take orders from him. He says she gave him an order to break into Eli’s house; it’s too dangerous. She says, it’s a barbecue. They’ll be in the open, surrounded by people, but he says she doesn’t know how safe she’ll be. Eli has already shown he’s capable of hurting people to get what he wants. She says, he has other people do his dirty work; he’s not violent himself. Sonny says, he’s capable of it, but Nina says Eli likes her. He believes she’s buying his act, and doesn’t know they broke into his office. He asks, why take more risks? They’re not going to be able to get Eli arrested, but they can finish him in Nixon Falls. Once they tell Lenny and Phyllis what they discovered, it’s over. Why risk trying to get more? It’s ridiculous what she’s saying. She says she gets it. The minute she feels like something is off, she’ll make an excuse and leave. She’ll call him right away. He says, it’s too risky, and they don’t know where Eli lives. Her phone dings, and she says she does; he just texted the address. Sonny says, how nice, and the Tan-O phone rings. Sonny answers, and says, all right. He says, damn, and tells Nina, there’s a delivery, and he needs to open the door, but they’re not done with this conversation.

Brando says, before Cyrus showed up yesterday, he and Sasha were getting into some important things about the baby, and them. No pressure, but he wants to talk more. She says, absolutely. She’d never shut him out, but to be clear, it was her decision to keep the baby, and it’s her responsibility. She doesn’t want to pressure him. He says he doesn’t feel pressure. He feels like he has the chance at something amazing. Something he never expected or knew he wanted, but now that it’s here, he wants to be part of his child’s life – and hers.

Peter tells Cyrus, he’ll put one of his top reporters on Carly’s tail. They’ll work the madam mob boss angle. Cyrus says, that sounds like a winning headline, but don’t forget the corruption in the mayor’s office. Laura is looking the other way, passively condoning organized crime, just like she did with Sonny. Cyrus’s phone rings, and he says, yes?.. When?… Keep him posted. Peter says, bad news? and Cyrus says it was his source at the courthouse. It seems Diane is working out an immunity deal for Gladys. Peter says, Gladys is talking to law enforcement? She must have changed her testimony. Cyrus told him she was solid. Cyrus says, she was. She’s a greedy narcissist. She resents Sonny, and resents Carly even more. That’s why she was thrilled when he took Brando into his organization. She’s an easy mark; he’s worked her before. He doesn’t know what incited her to flip. He has to find Brando to convince her to do otherwise. Peter says he just saw Brando getting chummy with Sasha.

Britt asks Jason what time it is, and he says, about 5. She asks if they shouldn’t have called with the results by now. She starts to pace, and asks who she’s kidding. This talk of stillness and being in the moment; she can’t handle this. Jason takes her hands and tells her, it’s all right. Just calm down. He suggests she try something, and she says, what? Twenty questions? Is it bigger than a breadbox? He says, the more she talks the less she hears. She’s always thinking about what she’s saying; she’s not listening to what’s going on around her. Close your eyes. She says she can do that, and he asks what she hears. She says, water… wind, and trees… birds. She laughs, and he asks what she feels. She says, the breeze on her face, and he tells her, focus on that. She says, it’s no use. The darkness is closing in on her. He says, keep your eyes open. There’s no darkness there. It’s beautiful, calm, peaceful. The thing she’s worried about hasn’t happened, and might not. Right now in the moment, she’s good. She smiles and says she is. Thanks.

Maxie tells Spinelli that she keeps thinking she’s not going to hold her newborn baby in her arms. After all these months of hope and anticipation, Louise will just be gone. He tells her not to let her fear run away with her. If Britt is unavailable, GH has amazing doctors. They’ll bring her baby girl into the world safe and sound. She says, but what if they can’t? What if she has to say goodbye to her baby girl before she even says hello?

Sonny sees that Nina is gone, and says, dammit.

Britt and Jason almost kiss, when Britt’s phone dings. She says, it must be the clinic. No one else has the number. He looks at the phone, and says, the test results are in. She says, okay. Time to face the music… Thank you.

Carly says Gladys hasn’t done much to endear herself to her. Gladys says if she’s been testy in the past, it’s because she wanted Sonny – God rest – to treat Brando like a full member of the family. So of course (🍷) when Brando was hired by Cyrus, she was thrilled. He had the opportunity for advancement he never had with Sonny. Carly says Gladys made sure that would happen by telling Cyrus about Dev. Because she wanted to endear herself, but all she did was give Cyrus leverage over all of them, including Brando. Gladys says she knows Cyrus is a powerful man. She has sense enough to be afraid of him, which is why doing what Carly is asking terrifies her. Carly asks if Diane wasn’t clear. Did Gladys not understand what she said? The only way to keep her and Brando safe is to make sure Cyrus goes to prison. And yes, Cyrus has a laundry list of crimes he’s committed, but the only ones they can prove are perjury and obstruction, and only Gladys can speak to those crimes. And yeah, Jason is going to be exonerated, but she doesn’t think for a minute Gladys cares about doing the right thing; she only cares about saving her own skin, so that’s exactly why she should do this. To make sure Cyrus is no longer a threat. Gladys says she gets it. She’s going to do what needs to be done, and yeah, she’s doing it for herself, but she’s also doing it because she loves her son, and she loves her grandchild too. Carly says she hopes so, because their future depends on her. Carly’s phone rings, and she asks, what’s going on?… Okay. Isn’t Olivia around?… She’ll be right down. She tells Gladys, she has to go downstairs and take care of a situation with a guest. After she hears from Diane, she’ll be back to take Gladys to the PCPD. Gladys salutes, and Carly leaves. Carly tells the guard she needs him to keep an eye on things for a moment. Ms. Corbin is going to stay in this room. If she gives him any trouble, call her.

Gladys orders filet mignon with mushrooms on the side. Mrs. Corinthos will be taking care of the bill.

Maxie tells Spinelli, she prays for a safe and smooth delivery, because she can’t wait to meet her little girl. But what happens after she’s born? What if Maxie can’t protect her anymore? Right now, she’s safe with Maxie, but when she’s out in the world, Maxie is going to have to let her go. It’s killing her. Spinelli says they all have to let their children go, but it happens slowly, over time. She did it with Georgie and James; she’ll do fine with Louise. He thought she was worried about complications during childbirth, but fear not. Once Louise is born, and Maxie sees she’s fine, she’ll stop worrying.

Sasha says she and Brando can’t exactly be part of each other’s lives if they’re hiding the fact that he’s the baby’s father. He says he’ll think of something; he’s pretty resourceful. And motivated. She says she knows, and he says he likes her. She says she knows that too. That’s why she’s pregnant. He says, it’s not about the sex, although he very much enjoyed it. Her being drop-dead gorgeous doesn’t hurt either, but he feels a deeper connection. He thinks they can really have something together. She says she feels it too, and he asks if she’s willing to see where this goes. She says she doesn’t know how they can, as long as Cyrus is around. He says, Cyrus can go to hell.

Cyrus says Peter saw Brando with Sasha? What makes him think they were getting chummy? Peter says, they were stepping into the stairwell like they wanted to steal some one on one time. Forget his chauffeur’s love life. They need to focus on Gladys. She saw him in the hallway at Franco’s studio. She saw him toss the gun – the murder weapon. Gladys can’t change her statement now. Cyrus says, of course (🍷) not. It looks like they each have some work to do.

Sonny gets Nina’s voicemail, and says, if she’s with Eli, call him back. He hangs up, and says, a barbecue. Oh my God. Where did you let him take you Nina?

Brando takes Sasha’s hands, and says they’ll find way around Cyrus. Don’t worry. He asks when her next visit with the doctor at Mercy is, and she says, three weeks. Does he want to come? He says, it’s a date, and she says, talk about doing things backward. He says, it’s not backward, it’s just us. She says, just us; it has a nice ring to it. Brando gets a text, and says he needs to make a pick-up, and deliver it to Cyrus. If they didn’t have to keep it a secret, he’d ask her to dinner tonight. She says she has a tricky relationship with food right now. She’d suggest they order in. He says if she needs him, just call, and he’ll be there; discretion be damned. She says he’s in more danger than she is. Take care of himself. He says he will.

Maxie tells Spinelli, she can’t talk about it; no one can know. He asks if there’s something wrong with Louise that she’s been keeping secret. They’re privileged to be Georgie’s parents, but they’re also the oldest and closest of friends. They’ve seen each other through struggles and difficulties, and shared with each other their fondest hopes and darkest fears. Why should it be different now? Let him in. Let him help.

Dr. Gannon tells Britt, he has the test results. They ran a complete screening for the Huntington’s Disease marker, and the results… She says, stop.

There’s a knock at Gladys’s door, and she jumps a mile. She says, silly goose, it’s probably just room service. Just a minute! She opens the door, and it’s Peter. He says, hello, Gladys, walks in, and closes the door.

Sonny looks at his phone, and says, maybe there’s something about a barbecue somewhere. He hears the door open, and says they’re closed. Lenny and Phyllis aren’t here. He sees a police officer has walked in, and says he’s glad the officer is there. They need to find Nina Reeves. The officer says, that will have to wait. He needs Sonny to answer some questions. Eli’s office was broken into and robbed the other night. Sonny asks what that has to do with him, and the officer says, Eli claims Sonny and Nina were behind it.

Maxie says she doesn’t know what to do, and Spinelli tells her to trust him. Rely on him. He’d do anything for her and the baby. She says she knows; she’s counting on it. He asks her to tell him the truth. Why is she so troubled? Why does she fear the loss of her baby?

Dr. Gannon asks if something is wrong, and Britt says, she’s okay. Jason takes her hand, and she says she’s ready. The doctor says the test results show she has the marker for Huntington’s Disease. He’s very sorry. She cries for a moment, then gets up and leaves.

At a warehouse, Cyrus says, Peter did well, and gets points for his expediency. Peter says, now it’s Cyrus’s turn. Keep him posted on Jason. Cyrus says, of course (🍷), and goes inside one of the rooms.

Carly goes to Glady’s hotel room, and sees the hallway empty. She says, Frank? She looks inside, and sees the room is trashed. She says, no.

Brando knocks at the door, and Cyrus says, come in. He’s finally found a way to shut up Brando’s mother. He steps aside, and we see Gladys tied up with duct tape over her mouth. Outside the door, Peter smiles.

Six hours later. Someone falls down the stairs. It’s Peter.

Tomorrow, Brando asks Cyrus what he wants in exchange for Gladys, Maxie tells Spinelli about her plan to protect her baby, and Sonny says Nina is in trouble because of Elijah.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht

When we last left the guests were arguing and Dani wanted off the yacht, because she had enough of being involved with a 10 16 21 24 year old.

Necujam, Croatia. Dani tells Daisy, she doesn’t want to talk to him; she doesn’t want to look at him; she doesn’t want to be there. In Daisy’s interview, she wonders if it’s Dani’s imagination. In Dani’s interview, she says, people will judge her forever. She’ll just get some cats and be done with it. She and Daisy listen to the guests arguing.

Guest Bianca says, there’s been a lot of stuff said about her and to her. Co-primary Jess says, everyone has been talking sh*t about everybody. It’s in Bianca’s head. Guest Myra suggests everyone have some wine, and tells Daisy, Lord help us. Bianca says they’re not including her. Glenn tells Gary that it’s been sunny out for 15 minutes, and everything is still covered. In Glenn’s interview, he says, it’s the end of the season, but they can’t let their guard down. It’s not a game. Everyone is tired, especially after the crash, and he has to keep a close eye on everything. Bianca wails that they’re excluding her, and Natasha is dying laughing. Glenn asks the guests if everything is all right, and Jess says they’re fine. She asks if Glenn wants to join them for dinner, and in his interview, he says, f*** me, but tells Jess that he’d be honored. Bianca calls friend Fabiana, and says they’ve been torturing her because she’s the prettiest one. In Dani’s interview, she says, even if it’s her fault that JL gave her this sh*t to her, she wants out. JL snores away in his cabin. Dani tells Colin that she’s not sharing this with everyone, and whispers to him. He says, oh sh*t, and in his interview, he wonders if JL’s willy looks like the sea cucumber they picked up yesterday. We flash back to that, and Colin tells Dani not to worry. In his interview, he says, if everyone left the boat over an STD, there would be no yachties left in the world.

Jess tells the other women that Bianca thinks they’re all jealous. She’s going to rip Bianca a new a-hole. She and Bianca start arguing, and Jess says, Bianca instigates and it’s unnecessary. She thinks they’re doing this because she’s pretty. Find her the mirror Bianca is looking at; she wants to put them all over her house. In Dani’s interview, she says, hashtag, savage. Jess says she doesn’t trust Bianca, and Bianca says they’ve been making fun of her since they got there. Colin tells Gary that Dani is talking about leaving, and Gary says he’s clean. Colin says, JL doesn’t even know what it is. It could be an ingrown hair or a pimple. Gary thinks it must be more than that.

The guests get ready to go snorkeling, and Erica says they need an activity to settle them down. Bianca tells Sydney, all’s well in hell, and in Gary’s interview, he says, get him out of here. Glenn says, it’s like Battle Royale, and Daisy says, it’s like boarding school. She heard Glenn is joining them for dinner, and he says he’s stressed as it is. In his interview, he says he doesn’t want a meal in the middle of the world’s biggest catfight. Thanks, but no thanks. Gary takes the guests to Stamorska Bay, and tells them, when they’re ready, jump in. One of the guests says it goes good with their mermaid theme tonight. Natasha asks what colors Daisy is using, and in her interview, Natasha says, last night, the guests were still hungry, and she doesn’t want a repeat. Her strategy is to just continue feeding them. The guests return from snorkeling, and Daisy tells Jess that Glenn is allergic to seafood, but what if he joins them for dessert? This seems to satisfy her, and Daisy tells Glenn about the huge favor she just did for him.

Natasha says she has three hours to cook, and asks if Colin will take care of the crew dinner. JL says he’s going out to the effing war zone. From what he hears, the guests are overwhelmed with joy. In Gary’s interview, he says, he’s confused, and Alli tells him that they can still talk. JL says he’s getting genuinely worried that he has an STD; it’s starting to get out of hand and scary. He calls the crew doctor, and says he has sore, abrased skin on his weenie. The doctor says, it sounds worrisome, and agrees it could be an STD.

Daisy asks Dani how she’s feeling. The doctor asks JL if he’s experiencing painful urination, but JL says, no; it’s just red. The doctor says, it sounds like chafing, and in JL’s interview, he says, he hopes so. The doctor tells JL to upload a photo to the portal. If it’s chafing, it should clear up on its own, but if it doesn’t, JL can get a test just to be safe. Daisy pulls out decorations for the mermaid dinner, and says, they’re for a five-year-old’s birthday party. Gary asks what a pirate’s favorite letter of the alphabet is. You’d think it was R, but it be the C. JL tells Dani that it’s probably chafing, and in her interview, she says, are you 12? You don’t know the effing difference? She hugs him, and says she’s sure everything is going to be all right.

Dani thanks Gary for being helpful, and Gary whines that he’s going to bed alone. In Alli’s interview, she says, now that she heard Gary and Sydney had sex, she doesn’t want to be that person. She needs to sleep peacefully with the decisions she’s made. She tells Gary that it’s not an attractive quality to pussyfoot around, and he says he would never do that. Daisy tells Alli to do her makeup, and she’ll set the table. The guests get ready, and Colin helps filet fish in the galley. Sydney says he’s getting to be quite the sous chef. Daisy says Colin can be a pirate, and the deckhands can be mermen. JL says he’s already been forced to do drag, and Colin announces the crew dinner is ready. Glenn says, finally, and Natasha gives him a look. Dani shows Alli how make mermaid-tinis, and says she doesn’t understand. JL said he gave her something, and now he says, it’s probably fine. In Daisy’s interview, she says, you don’t need to quit your job because your boyfriend’s penis hurts. It’s a bit dramatic. Guest Cindi pretends to be a lost mermaid. Daisy shows JL some sparkly, fish scale patterned leggings, and in JL’s interview, he says, there’s no way that’s happening. The table is beautiful; shells, netting, a lot of blue, and tiny white lights. Dani serves the drinks, while Alli cleans up the guest cabins. In her interview, Alli says, they have so many belongings. It’s disgusting, like an explosion. She knows they pay for service, but it’s disrespectful. There are a load of towels on the floor, and she says, the bin is literally right there.

Natasha serves the next course, which the guests think is amazing. Daisy tells Alli, they have to be like the guests’ mothers. Gary tries getting into the leggings by jumping around. JL, who’s apparently relented, says, Daddy Long Legs, don’t fail me now. Colin dresses as a pirate, and Gary adds a blue wig to his costume, prompting one of the guests to suggest putting a gem in his bellybutton so he’ll look like a Troll. No comment. Another guest says, this is epic sh*t, and Natasha tells them that there are more courses coming. Erica says it’s the best charter she’s ever experienced, and Natasha tells Glenn, the last course is coming out. Natasha tells Daisy that she’s going to do another dessert table; they won’t have to clean up.  The stews help her drizzle the chocolate on the table cover, and in Gary’s interview, he says it’s not his cup of tea. It was cool once, but they should serve nice desserts, not sh*t on the table. And we know he must have a refined palate. The guests insist JL slide across the table on his stomach, and in Glenn’s interview, he says he doesn’t think JL will do it. He does, and there’s chocolate everywhere. Glenn says, that sh*t better come out of the cushions – and off the teak. In JL’s interview, he says, if it will get them a bigger tip, hell yeah, he’ll do it. A guest licks chocolate off of JL’s chest, and I can’t even fathom doing something like that to a stranger. Dani starts cleaning up, and singing about money. Gary asks if he and Dani are going to have a cuddle tonight, and she says, no. He wonders if he should stop asking, and she says, yes.

JL says he feels terrible, and Sydney asks if he thinks it was worth it. Alli tells Gary that they need to talk, but she’s nervous, and he says he is too. She says she really likes him, but there’s also another component. She found out something she didn’t know before; he and Sydney had sex. He says he’s not going to lie, and she says she feels like she disrespected Sydney. She feels like an a-hole, and doesn’t know what she’s supposed to do. In Gary’s interview, he says, f*** me. Instead of butterflies inside, he has dying butterflies, and it’s not a nice feeling. He’s massively disappointed, and feels like a d*ck. At the end of the day, he doesn’t feel the same way about Sydney that he does about Alli.

The guests are getting drunk, and smelling each other’s armpits, while Dani tends bar. Gary says he’s sorry he put Alli in this situation, and Alli suggests they see what happens after the charter season. While they’re working, she doesn’t think they should see each other. She hates saying that, but Gary tells her that he understands. He’s glad they had this little chat. Gary tells Colin what happened, and that it’s not good. Alli asks Daisy to come have a cigarette with her, and Daisy asks how she is. Alli says, not good. JL goes to bed, and Dani says she hopes he feels better. Gary tells Colin, he’s such a puss. He knew he was, but effing hell. Daisy asks Alli, what happened? and Alli says she told Gary that she knows he had sex with Sydney. Now she feels like a d*ck to Sydney. Daisy says, it’s just one more week. Colin says, if Gary really likes Alli, why not wait until the season is over? and Gary says maybe it’s good that he’ll ignore Alli, but when he’s drunk, he’s going to want to hook up with her.

The next morning, JL gets a text from the doctor that says, it appears to be chafing, but if it doesn’t go away, let him know. Dani says, thank God. She’s so freaking relieved. Glenn calls boat tech Luka, and says he just needs the transom refinished, smoothed, and repainted. In Alli’s interview, she says, Gary is being weird, and in Gary’s interview, he says he feels like jumping overboard with an anchor tied to him, and never coming up. He feels like a proper d*ck. Well, he’s got that right, but he’s being just a bit dramatic, considering he’ll probably care about Alli for the amount of time it takes for him to be attracted to someone else. Daisy tells Alli that the guests are looking for a singer, and she was thinking of asking Sydney. Alli says she’s only heard Sydney sing once, and we flash back to the crew singing Happy Birthday.

At breakfast, Glenn asks how the guests are, and one says the had to figure out what happened last night from the pictures. Glenn says, it was one of those nights. Daisy asks if Sydney wants to write a song to sing at the guests’ women’s empowerment dinner. In Daisy’s interview, she says, the irony is that this is one of the most awkward situations she’s ever been in. The stews and Sydney dance around, and laugh, singing about empowerment. Glenn asks them to keep their cackling below 150 decibels. One of the guests hopes they all get along today.

Daisy tells the guests that they have the beach picnic today, and will probably do some sailing. I’m fast running out of tolerance for Erica’s Kim Kardashian accent. It’s like nails on a chalkboard. Glenn puts the sails up, and radios the interior to keep an eye on the dishes on the dining table. Erica says, she feels perfect; there’s a nice wind. Daisy asks if Alli will give Cindi a massage, and in Alli’s interview, she says, as yachties, they work hard and put up with a lot of sh*t. We flash back to Cindi yapping at Alli as she unpacks Cindi’s suitcase, and Alli says she doesn’t like giving massages, but at least it makes the guests happy. Alli tells Daisy that it will probably be the fastest hour of her life, since Cindi will be talking. Erica comes upstairs, headed for the deck, and says she heard them. They drop anchor, and Erica says she’s annoyed. She heard Alli say something about her mom. New information, but not knowing how old either of them are, I’m not sure if Cindi looks young for her age, or Erica looks old for hers. Alli gives Cindi a massage, and Natasha makes lunch. Gary and Colin set up on the beach, and Erica says she thinks Bianca is copying her, but she doesn’t care. Jess says they just have one more night. Gary radios Daisy that he’s coming back to pick up the food. Sydney says, she wants to give a shout out to the guests in the song, using each of their names. In her interview, she says she was classically trained. The last show she did, she was Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors. She’s all about female empowerment and thinks girls should lift each other up. Daisy tells Gary that the ladies are ready go to the beach. He should pick them up in fifteen minutes, but lunch is still at 2.

Erica tells Glenn that she heard Alli say something bad about her mom. She said giving Cindi a massage will be the fastest hour of her life, since Cindi will be talking her ear off. She doesn’t want to tell her mom because she’ll be sad; she said Alli is her favorite person there. Glenn says he’ll have a word with Alli, and in his interview, he says he’s disappointed. They’re meant to be more discrete than that. Erica – who is twice as irritating as her mother will ever be – says she gets protective about her mother. The others have been positive and engaging, and she wonders if Alli is having a personal struggle. Not content with unloading on Glenn, she tells Daisy that she’s upset. She walked in on her and Daisy’s conversation, and her mom loves Alli. Daisy says, the irony is that Alli loves her mom too. She promises the comment wasn’t meant to be negative. Glenn asks Daisy to talk to Alli, and in Daisy’s interview, she says, it’s so embarrassing.

The beach is set up, and Daisy pretends to talk to Alli. She says, it was bad timing that Erica walked in when they were talking. Alli asks if Glenn is upset, and Daisy says, no. He just wanted to clarify. Alli says they probably shouldn’t talk about the guests at all. Colin tells Sydney that he just got new guitar strings, and Daisy tells Alli to go on break, while she goes back to those crazy women. Everything is so messy. The guests are taken to the beach, and Erica has difficulty walking on the rocks in her wedges. A table has been set up under a canopy, and Dani tells them, enjoy themselves for now and have some wine; lunch will be soon. Jess tells Bianca that she has to move because Jess wants to sit next to Erica. Bianca says she’s there now, but Jess says her stuff was there, and it got moved when they were taking pictures. Erica says she can’t help it if she’s popular. Colin plays his guitar while Sydney tries to come up with a song.

Glenn asks Natasha how it’s going, and she says, good. Dani calls the yacht from the beach, and tells Daisy that they need rosé. Daisy says they’re out, but they’re supposed to get some this evening. She tells Dani to suggest champagne in the meantime. Dani says they need water too, and Daisy wonders, how much effing water can they drink? Glenn says they have to get the food to the beach, and Daisy says she found more rosé; she’ll send it back with Gary. Glenn tells her not to say she found it, but it just came in, so it looks planned. In Glenn’s interview, he says he doesn’t know what’s going on with the crew. Everyone seems a little off. They’ve got to do better. He’s losing patience. They have a charter and a half until the end of the season, and they’ve been dropping the ball too much. Get your sh*t together. Natasha runs out to the tender, and says, they’re missing something. Glenn says, let’s go, but there’s still a bunch of food in the galley.

Next time, Daisy says, this is hard to watch; Dani tells JL that she’s moving to America, and they’re getting married and having babies; and Colin tells Gary that if he likes Alli, don’t f*** Sydney. You’d think that would be a given, but I guess not.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

At the WSB facility in Geneva, Switzerland, Dante tosses and turns. He yells, don’t pull the trigger! He wakes, breathing heavily, and says he didn’t kill him. Ned tells Olivia that he may not always know the right words to say, but he loves and cares about her. He’s there for her if she wants to talk more about Dante. She has better idea, and asks if he’d care to join her upstairs. They kiss, and his phone rings. He says the deal he’s been working on just came through, but he definitely has time for a break. Olivia asks if that means squeezing her in before he runs back to ELQ. At the hospital, Portia asks what Cyrus is doing there, and he says he was just asking about her daughter. She tells him to stay away from Trina; don’t even mention her name. Laura approaches, and asks if everything is okay. Brook tells Valentin they’ve never formally met, but she remembers him being there when she hit Lulu with the champagne. He tells her it was a miscarriage justice, and he’s been there. She asks if he’d been completely innocent, and he admits he wasn’t. She says it’s nice to meet him. In court, Nelle clutches the half-heart necklace. Nina has taken the stand, and Martin says Nina is Nelle’s employer; how is she doing? Nina says Nelle is still learning the ropes, but she’s a quick study. She’s competent and a hard worker. Martin asks if that’s why Nina hired her, and Nina says she believed Nelle deserved a second chance. Nelle smiles.

Ned tells Olivia, he’s completely blindsided, and Olivia says she saw him quickly checking the phone while he was pretending to apologize. He says his apology was sincere. He’s been working hard on the Mertin Tech deal, and today it’s a go. He could be at the office. Olivia wonders if she’s an afterthought, and he asks if he’s made her feel like that. She congratulates him on his big deal, and starts to walk out, but he says they’re going to talk about this. He heard her with Robert, and she’d said Robert made her feel better. Before Robert came over, they’d been talking about Dante. She says, she was talking about Dante. They never do. For everyone else, Dante has ceased to exist, but not for her. Lulu has moved on with her life and a new man, and Rocco’s memories are fading. He’s a little boy, and can’t put his life on hold until Dante comes back. Neither can she. Her son is out there, and she may never see him again. Robert is going through something similar with Holly, and maybe they’re both in denial, but Robert made her feel better and not so alone. Ned says she’s not alone. She’s with him.

Dante is in a small locked room with a few furnishings – a bed, a desk, a chair, and a night table. He drinks some water, and throws the plastic cup on the floor. He holds his head, and says, damn headache. He says he has to find a distraction, and tells himself, don’t give in to it. He looks at a pencil and pad of paper on the desk.

Cyrus says it’s good see Laura, and she says he’s always at the hospital. Does he have a health issue? He thanks her for her concern, but he’s healthy except for allergies. He doesn’t mind though. He’s glad to be breathing the Port Charles air, instead of the stale prison air. She’s sure the air is just as exhilarating out west, and he says he’s never seen a mayor so concerned about their constituents. Port Charles is lucky to have her. He says he has an appointment, and leaves. Maybe. Portia says, that man is so disgusting. He made a point of bringing up Trina. She wanted to slap him in his smug face. Laura doesn’t like how he’s flaunting his freedom, and Portia says he’s a known drug trafficker, and Taggert is dead, with his name being dragged through the mud. How is this justice? Laura says she understands.

Martin says Nelle was also nanny to Nina’s stepdaughter, and he’s sure she vetted Nelle carefully. Diane wonders if there’s a relevant question or is he trying to bond with the witness, and Judge Lowe tells him, get on with it. Martin says Nina lost a child. Is it fair to say the loss was difficult? Nina says the loss affected her deeply, and Martin asks if it also created a kinship between mothers. Nina says, it’s a pain no mother should have to bear. It colored her perception. He says she’s worked with Nelle for several weeks. She must have formulated an opinion. Not just about Nelle as an employee, but the kind of mother she’d be. Nina says in the time Nelle has worked for her, Nelle confirmed her initial impression. I lean closer to the TV, and Nina says, Nelle is a compulsive liar. Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! I knew it.

Brook says she’s flattered Valentin wants to join her, but he says he doesn’t think so. He thinks she’s trying to disarm a worthy opponent, but he doesn’t want her as an opponent. They have things in common. She says, like ELQ. She knows he used Linc to buy her shares.

Laura says she thought Taggert was a good cop, and Portia says, he was. He was devoted to his work. Life wasn’t always easy, but they parted on good terms, and co-parented Trina. Laura asks how Trina is doing in the wake of Taggert’s death, and Portia says, her emotions are all over the place. Sorrow, fear, anger; mostly sorrow. Trina is taking her father’s death hard. Most people don’t know what to say. Or they think Portia is embarrassed that Taggert conspired to frame Cyrus. She’s not embarrassed. He tried to find a legal way, but Cyrus was too smart and slick, so Taggert went by his own code of ethics to put a criminal behind bars. She explained to Trina that he took a stand for what he believed in. Laura says, Trina was lucky to have a father like him.

Nina says, Nelle can’t help herself. She lies about everything, and just uses people. She sees the custody case as a contest she’ll do anything to win. She married Julian… Martin objects, and Diane says, he’s objecting to his own witness. Martin asks for permission to treat the witness as hostile, and Nina says she’s not hostile; he wanted the truth. He tells her to please just answer the questions he asks her. He asks if she’s currently seeing a psychiatrist, and she says, no. He asks if she wasn’t committed to Shadybrook, and Diane objects, saying Nina isn’t on trial. The judge says, sustained, telling martin, that’s quite enough. Martin has no further questions. Diane asks what Nina was going to say before she was so rudely interrupted, and Nina tells her, what she was going to say was that Nelle married Julian to shore up her custody case. She found out Michael had married Willow, and wanted to be on equal footing. Nelle doesn’t love Julian; she’s using him. Martin objects, asking how she can know what’s in his client’s heart, and Nina says she knows because it was clear Nelle blackmailed Julian into marrying her. Carly smiles, and I laugh. My bad day just got better.

Brook asks what Valentin’s angle is, and he asks Brook to tell him. She says he doesn’t want a little piece of a big company. He wants to acquire a major block, but it won’t work. Quartermaines take care of their own, and when she tells her father, no one will even look in his direction, let alone sell to him. Valentin says he’ll make the shareholders much richer, and revive her stalled career.

Nelle says Nina is lying, and asks if Carly threatened her. Judge Lowe tells Martin to control his client, and Diane asks if Nelle actually said she blackmailed Julian. Nina says, not those exact words, but she said she’d resorted to desperate measures, and would do whatever it took. She said Julian valued his life too much not to play by her rules. Diane says, those were her exact words? and Nina says, yes. Nelle jumps up, and says, you double-crossing bitch. She knew she was crazy for trusting a baby stealer. Nina is so starved for attention, she blew up her own wedding to get back at the groom. Now she waited until the 11th hour to make up a story. Was she talking to Carly? What’s her angle? Martin begs her, please be quiet, but she just gets louder. She says Michael resorted to desperate measures and forced Willow to marry him, or she’d sleep with the fishes like everyone else who gets in Sonny’s way. The judge calls for order, and Nelle says Nina is just like everyone else here. Maybe she’s jealous because Nelle’s child is alive, and she’s helping Carly take her baby away. She yells that Carly will never take her baby away. Wiley is hers. Martin says, for God’s sake, stop, and Nelle suddenly clutches her chest and gasps for air, acting like she’s having a heart attack. This is too funny.

After the commercial, Martin thanks Judge Lowe for the brief medical recess. His client was overcome, and apologizes for her outburst. Her need to protect her son is so strong, she lashed out. Diane recalls Willow to the stand, and asks if she was coerced into marrying Michael. Willow says, absolutely not. No one threatened her, or sent her a dead fish or anything. Diane asks if she received financial compensation, and she says, no. Diane says, Michael is a wealthy man. Now she is too. Willow says she’s a credited teacher. She has a good job and values her independence. She doesn’t need Michael’s money. Diane asks why she married Michael, and she says, because he’s a decent man. She knows that doesn’t sound like much, but decency is the foundation of trust, and trust is how you build a life. Michael isn’t perfect, but he’s fair, compassionate, and sees the value in compromise. He doesn’t assume that because he’s richer, he’s better. He’s known grief and loss and injustice, but it hasn’t made him bitter. It’s given him empathy. Her greatest wish is that Wiley will grow up to be a man like his father. That’s why she married him. She wants them to raise Wiley together as a family.

Dante plays with the pencil for a while. He puts it down, then picks it back up. He starts to write.

Olivia says she’s not trying to make Ned feel like he’s being insensitive. He’s the man she loves, and he couldn’t be a better father, but he’s been focused on ELQ at the expense of everything else. Ned says he needs to protect his family, which she and Leo are a part of. She says, but not Dante. She can’t see the family as a corporation; they’re people who love one another, and Dante is one of those people. Ned says she’s right. The family isn’t a corporation, but this family owns one, and his job is to keep it going strong. She says, Michael is the CEO; he doesn’t have to do this by himself. He says Michael has been trying to keep his son away from a madwoman, and even before, he was preoccupied with Wiley for months. She says, so he’s doing this out of the goodness of his heart; choosing not to tell Michael that an outsider is buying up the shares to consolidate power. Ned’s title as CEO is temporary. He says he’s not leading a coup against Michael. He’s trying to manage a crisis. If the outsider acquires enough shares, ELQ risks a hostile takeover.

Brook asks Valentin, who said her career is stalled? He says she’s an excellent singer, but so is every back-up singer in New York. She says she’s not a back-up singer, and he says, no, she’s not. She’s a lead singer, but no one is beating a path to her door, and she blew off her agent. She says Linc is a sleazeball, but he asks if someone else will take a risk with a troublemaker? He can fix it. She asks, how? and he says he can give her visibility and momentum. He can find a producer to work with her, but first she has to work with him.

Judge Lowe says, court is adjourned. He’s going to take everything into consideration. Nelle asks Martin why he didn’t stop Nina, and Julian says, how? Nina was telling the truth. Michael is a decent guy, and Nelle lost her own damn case. She says she proved she was passionate about her child. In her office, Nina looks out the window. Jax comes in, and asks if she’s okay. She says she is. She was just thinking about what happened. She’ll never live down her crazy past. No matter who she is, it’s a sure fire way to discredit her. Jax says, that’s not true, but she says he doesn’t know who she was. She was weak and vindictive…  He tells her, stop. He knows she had a difficult past, but the woman she says she was isn’t who he’s looking at. She proved that in court. She helped an innocent child, and helped the court to see who Nelle is. Nelle showed her true colors, and he’s proud of Nina.

Cyrus thanks board member Tom for his interest, and says he looks forward to hearing from him. When Cyrus is gone, Laura says she saw Tom talking to Cyrus. What did he say? Tom says, they were discussing the future of the hospital. Cyrus listens from around the corner. Laura tells Tom he should think twice about involving himself with Cyrus, but Tom says Cyrus was wrongly accused. Laura says, his sentence was vacated; that doesn’t mean he’s innocent. He tells her that he has to run, and she tries to follow him, saying she’d like to discuss this, but he keeps going. Cyrus asks if there are problems, and she asks why he’s always around. What’s his real interest in the hospital? He says he’s a businessman, and the hospital is having a fiscal crisis. GH is the heart of Port Charles, and it would be a shame if they had to curtail services, or worse, shutter. He might be in a position to provide assistance. She says, his assistance isn’t necessary. The people who have helped close the gap in the past, will in the future. Cyrus says the hospital’s pending litigation might be discouraging to potential donors, but she says they’re a strong community, and take care of their own. He says he admires that. It’s why he wants to give back, and he’s established the Cyrus Renault Foundation for Social Justice. She tells him, GH doesn’t need his money. The Quartermaines have been patrons for generations, and ELQ will step up again to give the hospital support.

Ned tells Olivia that he’s not sounding the alarm, but ELQ could be in jeopardy if this isn’t stopped. She says maybe it’s not the time for him to be CEO, but he says, Michael was asleep at the switch; it started happening on his watch. He’d thought she was on board. She says she was, but now is the time to circle the wagons, and shoot at the enemy, not inward. What good is a family business if it drives the family apart? She thought he would have learned that from past experience, but she guesses he hasn’t. He says he’s trying to keep the family safe, but she says, no. He’s trying keep himself and ELQ powerful. It’s not the same.

Valentin says he’s heard Brook sing, and seen her online videos. She has talent and can make it, but needs the right venue and the right people. She asks if he’s suddenly a music mogul, and he says his interests are varied, and he loves music. He’s a partner in Deception, and wants to use her music for their relaunch at the Nurses Ball… if she’s ready for that level of spotlight. She asks, what’s the catch? and he says she can’t tell her family that he’s accumulating shares. She says, in other words, he’s paying her off. He says, no; those are the words. Her silence for his connections. She says she has to go, and he says he’s enjoyed talking to her, and he’ll see her again.

Nina tells Jax that she initially hired Nelle to spy on her, and get dirt for Michael’s custody hearing. Jax asks if Nelle didn’t solicit the job from Nina. Nina didn’t lure her into a trap. Nelle wanted to use Nina to make herself look good. She says, maybe, but her point is that she started to believe Nelle’s love was sincere, and that she only needed encouragement, and someone to believe in her, like Nina had. Jax says Nina’s trauma was real, and she can’t compare them. Nelle thinks the world owes her. Nina says she saw herself in Nelle. Sometimes the life she has now feels like a dream. Jax says she deserves all the happiness in the world. This is real, and what they have isn’t going anywhere. He hugs her.

Carly tells Diane that she was amazing, but Diane says, don’t thank her yet. She thinks it’s a slam dunk, but the judge is going to deliberate on the testimonies and documents. Carly says Willow was amazing, and Willow says she only spoke from her heart. Diane says Nelle’s only sincere moment was when she went ballistic. In the hallway, Nelle asks if it would have killed Julian to hold her hand or something, and he says, what Nina said was the truth. She says if Nina cost her the case, she’ll never make Nina stop paying. Julian says Nelle cost herself the case. Martin might have been able to spin it, but when she got on her feet, the whole thing was over. He tells her that he’s out of there, and call him when the verdict comes in, and he’ll meet her back at court.

Martin goes to the MetroCourt for a drink, and Valentin says, rough day in court? Martin says Valentin’s ex torpedoed his entire custody case. Valentin says he told Martin not to underestimate Nina. Martin says Valentin mentioned Brook in his text. Did he have an altercation with her? Valentin says she knows he used Linc to get her shares. Martin says Valentin’s ELQ takeover is finished if Brook warns her father, but Valentin says he doesn’t think she will.

Ned tells Olivia, the Quartermaines are tied to ELQ. If he company prospers, so do they. They can be shrewd and ruthless, but if they’re not, someone will swoop in and take advantage. The world isn’t about peace, love, and messages from the great beyond. Olivia says she and Ned might not see eye to eye on psychics, but that’s no reason to be condescending. He says he wasn’t; he was being real. She says so was she. She’s feeling real pain, and her son is real. If he can’t respect those things, he can’t respect her. Brook comes in, and says she got some career advice that she wants to run by Ned.

Dante writes. I miss you, mom. I miss my life, but it’s more important to keep you safe from me. That’s why I’ll never send this letter. He puts the pencil down, folds the paper into a small square, and puts it under his mattress. I assume they don’t change the sheets too often there. He looks out the door window, but there’s a shade covering it. He flips the pencil around.

Cyrus tells Laura, they might not be able to rely on the people who’ve bailed them out in the past. GH might need a new savior. She says he’s not their savior, and he’s not getting anywhere near GH. She has close friends on the board, and there’s no way he’s using the hospital to launder his drug money. He says, she’s formidable, but be careful about false accusations. Don’t underestimate him. He goes into the elevator, and Laura looks shook.

Jax tells Nina that her testimony was truthful. She has nothing to apologize for. She said she’s sorry for buying into Nelle’s charade, but her eyes are open now. He tells her that they’re lovely eyes. He’s meeting his daughter, and asks if she wants to join them, but she says she doesn’t want to intrude on daddy/daughter time. Besides, she has a lot of work. He says he’ll call her later.

Carly tells Michael that she’s heading home. She doesn’t expect they’ll hear from the judge today, but if they do… Michael says she’ll be their first call. She thanks Willow for what she said about Michael, and Willow says she meant every word. Carly says she knows, and leaves. Michael says they have to believe they made the strongest case. He’d suggest a celebratory dinner, but he doesn’t want… They say, to jinx it, together. He says, why don’t they go home and be with Wiley? and she says, sounds great.

Nina looks at her half of the necklace, when Nelle bursts in. Nelle says, how could she? You betrayed me, bitch. The necklace falls to the floor.

Tomorrow, Ned says it’s time they learned who they’re dealing with, Sonny has a terrible decision to make, and Nina suggests Nelle get her facts straight.

Absolutely. Worth the. Wait.

Below Deck Mediterranean

Captain Sandy tells Kiko, just get through the charter, and Kiko says, then leave. She nods, and she tells him, do your food. In the captain’s interview, she says she feels like she’s hammering at the guy. He continues to pour his heart into the food, but it’s off. You can like someone a lot, but if they’re not trained properly, they have to be let go. Kiko says he’s a failure, but she says he’s not. He doesn’t want to talk about it, and he’s worried he’ll be the reason they make less money. One of the guests says they’re done with fried food for the rest of the charter, and primary Sean says, speak for himself. Kiko tells Hannah that Captain Sandy said he’s not capable. The guests complained that it looked like kid food. He’s never been to Vegas, and didn’t know what to do. Hannah cries on deck, and says she hates this effing job. In her interview, she says she feels like she let Kiko down. She suggested the menu, and she’s shaken to her core. Kiko says he wasn’t prepared for this kind of charter, took a risk, and screwed up. He’s the most sad ever. Bugs tells Malia that she feels sorry for him, but he wanted honesty. Malia says, he’s the sweetest person ever. Hannah tells the deckhands that they’re doing the strip club thing now. In her interview, Bugs says, it’s heartbreaking but this is yachting. The show must go on. A guest says, this is Vegas. Whatever happens here, stays here, the deckhands and Bugs get ready. The guys dress in black pants with suspenders and no shirts.

The crew comes out, and Malia does a handstand. They all run around the table, gathering dollar bills in their waistbands. Kiko cries in his bunk. Captain Sandy sees Hannah in the galley, and asks why she’s shaking. Is she upset about Kiko? Hannah says, yeah, but not much else; she just keeps working. Alex plays dealer for the guests’ poker game, and Bugs clears the dinner table. Jess gives Hannah a hug, and Hannah checks on Kiko. She says she effing likes him, and if he’s in pain, she’s in pain as well. He says he doesn’t have the mind or energy to cook, and she tells him that she’ll get up and help with breakfast. She hugs him, and he says they have real love. She’s a good person. She says he is too, and they vow to be friends forever. The guests go to bed, and Rob asks Jess for a quick kiss. In Rob’s interview, he says he feels deeply saddened. Kiko is a beautiful person. He tells Kiko that he’s sorry.

Hannah wakes up at 4 am, breathing heavy. She gets up, and goes into the bathroom. Malia asks if she’s okay, and she says she thinks it’s a panic attack. She needs a valium, and thinks it will pass. Malia asks if she has a prescription, and gives her a hug. She asks again if Hannah is okay. Hannah says she will be, and Malia goes back to bed. Hannah gets her phone, and gets back in her bunk. I assume she took a valium.

Third day of charter. Jess sets the breakfast table, making the napkins look super cool. Captain Sandy goes to the galley, and tries to make conversation with Kiko. She thanks him, and in her interview, she says, as captain, it’s hard to fire people. She hired her nephew once, and her first officer said he was terrible. She had to say, sorry, dude. You have to go. It’s not about liking someone; it’s about if a person can do the job. She tells Jess, good job, and she’s not just saying that; she’s honest. Kiko tells Jess, he just can’t do it. He doesn’t have the energy for this anymore. In his interview, he says he just wants to leave. After preparing some fruit plates, he packs his knives, and prepares to go. He tells Jess that he’s leaving, and Bugs asks if he’s doing actual breakfast, but he gets back in his bunk. Alex tells Malia, it’s a shame; everyone likes him. Captain Sandy wonders where the chef is, and Bugs says, in his cabin. Sandy knocks, and asks to talk to him. He tells her that his head is f***ed up, and she asks him to leave his emotions in his cabin, and do the job. Please. Let’s finish this together. They just have one more night, and he can do this. Do his food. He brings his knives back out.

Kiko tells Hannah that his food is emotional, and he feels sad. Hannah says she’ll help with breakfast. Captain Sandy tells Malia, ready when she is, and they pull out of port. Hannah makes reservations under the boat’s name for the guests’ land excursion. The captain says it’s a beautiful day, and they need it after last night. Malia tells Captain Sandy that Hannah is freaked out, and feels bad. The captain says, it’s sad, and Malia says it all comes back to her, and the standards she allows on the boat. The captain says, that’s why she’s in that seat.

The boat goes to Valldemossa, and drops anchor. Hannah tells Jess and Rob, they’re going on an excursion. There will be a taxi waiting on shore, and they can drop the guests off for lunch. Any decisions they make, she doesn’t care. Rob says it’s their first date, and Bugs jokes that she remembers her first date with Alex; it was romantic. Hannah asks the guests if they’re ready to rock and roll, and the guests board the tender. Captain Sandy asks to speak with Hannah in the office, and asks, what’s wrong besides Kiko? Hannah says, when someone is really emotional, it’s infectious. The captain says she wants to finish strong. She told Kiko to do his food. She wants to lift him back up. She says Hannah can always talk to her, and she just wanted to make sure Hannah was okay. Hannah says she just wanted to help Kiko, and thinks it’s good the guests are off the boat for lunch. Captain Sandy thanks her for talking. I love Captain Sandy. She’s the boss we all would love to have.

Rob tells Jess, she’s the voice of the operation, and the guests dub them JOB – Jess and Rob. Crystal says they can hold hands; no one cares. Captain Sandy makes a call for a chef. She knows it’s crazy busy, but send what they can. Jess gives a tour, reading from a pamphlet, and pronounces Chopin like choppin’. In her interview, she says the city is beautiful, but she keeps staring at Rob. They kiss, and the guests take a picture. They deposit the guests at the restaurant, and the guests toast to JOB. Rob asks Jess how her finger is, and she says, a lot better.

Alex massages Bugs’s shoulders while she washes dishes. In her interview, Bugs says Alex is too young for her, but she prides herself on being a bit of a cougar. Rob and Jess hang out on a restaurant terrace. In Rob’s interview, he says he and his mother understood each other, and it was the last time he felt seen. With Jess, he feels seen – and heard, which is nice. Sean says, everyone in the crew has good energy, and another guest says it takes a lot to deal with him. Rob tells Jess that he loves her, and asks if that’s crazy. She says, kind of, and he apologizes for scaring her. In his interview, he says, she didn’t say it back. He doesn’t know if she’s just holding back. He can’t tell, but he doesn’t want to hold back.

Malia calls her boyfriend Tom, and tells him they’re down a person; the chef. He’s been crying, but he needs more practice. In her interview, Malia says Tom has been there too, since he’s a chef. The first time he worked on a 16 meter, he said he would never do it again. It’s a hard position to do. Hannah tells Kiko to talk to the captain. She thinks it would be disrespectful to the clients and captain if he leaves now. He says he was going to finish dinner, and cut stuff up for the morning, but he’ll finish the job. In his interview, he says, at least he’s not a quitter. Malia volunteers her rapping skills for the 90s party, and works on some rhymes. Jess calls Bugs, and says they’re on their way back. When they return, Bugs welcomes the guests.

Bugs radios Malia, telling her, two of the guests want to jet ski. Malia says, be careful; it’s pretty choppy. Malia radios Rob to come and keep eyes on them. She tells Captain Sandy, the conditions are rough. The guests are very good, and Malia says she’s loving it. Rob is with Jess in her cabin, and taking his time. Rob says there’s too much going on, and Jess isn’t communicating. Now he’s in his head. Jess says she’s scared to fall in love and get hurt. He says he doesn’t want to get hurt either. Malia radios again, and in her interview, she says, after what happened two days ago, they all need to watch. There’s two people out there, and she can’t save them both. Jess tells Rob that she wanted to say it, and felt it, but part of her has fear. In her interview, she says it’s hard for her to trust. She gets it from both parents. They divorced when she was two, and her mother stayed in Florida, while her dad moved to California. They wanted to stay as far away from each other as possible. The guests come back in, and Malia says, thank God they knew what they were doing.

Ron finally shows up, and Malia asks where he was. He says, in the bathroom, and she tells him to let her know if he has to run somewhere, or she’ll wonder where he disappeared to. In Kiko’s interview, he says he wishes he could stay, but he knows he’s got no second chance. It’s hard for him to get chances in the first place, and he prefers to stick with his style and kill it. He’ll do that for dinner, then he’ll be finished. He tears up again. Hannah asks if the guests are excited about the 90s party, and Captain Sandy tells Pete to get pizza. She’s not asking Kiko to make crew food. The guests toast to living life to the fullest. Malia tells Kiko that her boyfriend has a soft spot for him. He’s been there, and was completely broken, but now he has a huge career. It’s not the end for him. Guest Richard gives Hannah a ring to put in the dessert for his wife Karen’s birthday. Pete is going to pick up the pizza, and Hannah tells him to stop at a patisserie. He doesn’t know what that is, so she says, a bakery.

Bugs comes out wearing crazy tights. The deck is decorated with streamers, lots of neon, and glow sticks. Captain Sandy thinks the décor is cool. Pete asks the pizza guy if they have cakes, and gets something to bring back. The captain asks Kiko if he’s doing dinner Kiko style, and he says he is. The guests are dressed like recording artists from the 90s, bringing parental advisory signs with them. They’re happy with the décor. In her interview, Hannah is praying Kiko serves a good meal, so they can leave on a high. Please. The entrée is spinach mash and grilled sea bass, and they say it’s delicious and perfect, and ask if Kiko will come out. Bugs asks Kiko to see the guests, and he reluctantly goes upstairs. They chant his name, and he tells them, enjoy. In Kiko’s interview, he says, the night feels good. He’s making everybody happy, and it’s just cool. He cries some more. Bugs says she heard them cheering; well done. Kiko and Hannah hug, and he says he’ll miss her. Hannah says she doesn’t want to stay on the stupid boat without him. What is she going to do? She puts the ring on a slice of chocolate cake. The desserts are brought up, and one guest says, Kiko is a pro at desserts. Hannah tells Karen that she heard it was her birthday. Karen sees the ring, and is obviously thrilled. She starts to cry, and hugs Richard.

Malia says she has zero dignity, and Hannah introduces her as their 90s throwback. Alex and Bugs back her up as she raps about the crew, and the guests are drunk enough to appreciate it. Jess hugs Rob, and says, they’re crazy tonight. They kiss. The guests dance. Alex says they’re his favorite charter, and Crystal says they’re her favorite crew. Malia texts Tom that she can’t wait to see him.

Final day of charter. Kiko makes breakfast, and Captain Sandy tells Jess, great job with the table. She tells Malia to start hauling anchor. Jess says she wants to sleep this afternoon. Kiko says, so does he, but he wants to have six beers first. In his interview, he says it’s been good, bad, and good again. He got the job because he took a risk. He takes chances and risks, and has both good and bad in his life because of that. The anchor is in the pocket, and Bugs tells the guests, good morning. In the galley, she asks if Jess has been writing down the breakfast orders for the chef, and Jess says, no. Hannah tells her to start doing that, or she’ll get a rude awakening when they get a new chef. In Hannah’s interview, she says, Kiko has been a breath of fresh air in the galley, compared to other chefs, and we flash back to some of those. She says she wishes he could stay. Bugs says, the 90s party wiped the guests out. Malia tells Captain Sandy about Tom coming to visit. He’s on the way to see his family, and stopping by. The captain asks if he’s currently employed, and Bugs says she was thinking the same thing. Malia says he does freelance, and Captain Sandy tells Malia to have Tom come see her, if she’s comfortable with that. Malia says, it would be amazing. The crew gets in their whites.

Malia tells Crystal that docking is the most critical moment. Crystal tells her that she looks pretty doing it, and Malia’s interview, she says she’d rather be told she’s a pretty powerful person. The boat docks, and the crew lines up to say goodbye. Sean says, nice work; it was the best one yet. In Kiko’s interview, he says he doesn’t want the captain’s opinion, and to hear what he already knows. He’s just leaving. Sean says they’re going to make a U-turn and come back. Kiko tells them that he cooked with love. Crystal says, it was an incredible experience. Their every need was catered to, and she’s so happy, she’s crying. Sean gives Captain Sandy the tip envelope. In Hannah’s interview, she says, it’s ironic. The guests had an amazing, memorable time, and say they made nine new friends, but one friend was fired in the middle of dinner service. The captain tells them to gather in the main salon for the tip meeting. Kiko says goodbye to everyone, and Malia tells him that he’ll be all right.

Kiko and Hannah sit on the dock, and Kiko says they’ve known each other for a short time, but they’ll be friends forever. He tells her how much he loves her, and says, it’s not bullsh*t. She says she doesn’t want him to leave, and he tells her, don’t cry. She says she’s not, but she is. In Kiko’s interview, he says it was the best experience of his life. He cried and he laughed. He likes to cook, and had good and bad moments. There were jokes made, and he made friends. He’s learned to try not to effing care what people think too much, and he’s going to follow what he learned. He’s going to follow what he loves, be himself, and spread love to the world, and it will be a better world. Hannah calls out that she loves him. Bugs says there were a lot of changes in a short space of time, with a new second stew and chef. Hanna tells Rob, it shouldn’t have gone down like that.

Next time, the crew parties, Bugs comes on to Alex, the owner arranges a day off for the crew, Jess says she and Rob went from PG to rated R, Tom arrives, and Captain Sandy says it’s been brought to her attention that someone has drugs on board.
