What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Jordan talks shop on the phone as she enters her apartment. She hears someone moving around and says to freeze, she has a gun. Put that gun away. It’s Andre. Um…you did give him the key.

Kiki meets Morgan at the coffee kiosk and Ava sees them kiss. I want a shirt like Morgan is wearing with the kiosk logo on it.

Carly asks Sonny if everything is cool, since he’s late. He says he had something to take care of. Yeah, Julian. Nell visits bearing flowers.

Lucy sees Doc in the hospital elevator. He’s being released. She says he looks pretty spiffy and wonders if he has a date with Laura.

Laura, looking pretty spiffy herself, talks to Elizabeth, who feels badly about not coming to the funeral. Laura tells her it’s fine and she’s going to dinner with Doc. Elizabeth asks about Spencer. Laura says Spencer slept in her room last night. She thinks it makes him miss Nicholas not saying good-night less. She says they had an interesting conversation, and he wants to go to boarding school in France, something Nicholas had promised him. Laura asks if she should let him go away and Hayden appears, saying over her dead body.

Andre reminds Jordan that she gave him the key and they were supposed to meet after work. He tells her that he was setting up something special. She apologizes for forgetting. He’s made some Pad Thai that he says puts take-out to shame and she says clearly she has a lot to learn about him. He says he’ll get dressed so they can eat, because apparently he cooks shirtless, and she says she has a better idea. My idea is that cooking with any kind of oil while not wearing a shirt is a bad idea.

Carly tells Nell that Josslyn is out, and dinner’s not quite ready yet. Nell says sorry she’s early, but that’s the way the buses roll. Carly says she could have sent a car and also suggests she put Nell up at the MetroCourt. Nell says paying her own way is important to her and Sonny says he was the same way.

Kiki asks Ava what she’ doing there, and Ava says getting coffee. Kiki asks if there’s anything Ava wouldn’t do to drive her and Morgan apart, and we flash back to Ava messing with Morgan’s meds. Ava says that Kiki will understand when she’s a mother, and that she had a private conversation with Dillon that she thought would remain private. Morgan wonders why Kiki didn’t tell him about it.

Elizabeth tells Hayden that decisions about Spencer are Laura’s to make. Laura says it breaks her heart to send him away, but she has to consider his wishes. Hayden and Elizabeth start to argue, but Laura stops it. She says that elite families attend the boarding school that Spencer wants to go to, and it has very tight security. She’s concerned about Valentin still possibly being a threat. Hayden says if she sends Spencer away, she’ll lose him forever.

Lucy walks Doc to the MetroCourt. She wants to give him dating advice, but he’s not receptive to it. He tells her he’s glad they’re friends again, but it’s none of her business. His phone rings and she grabs it, reading the message from Laura that she’s going to be late.

Hayden tells them about her own relationship with her father. They had been very close and he got got distant when she was in high school. To protect her from the infighting between them, her parents sent her to boarding school and she hated it. Her mother walks in behind her and says, “Really?” I hate that woman. She pops up at the worst times.

Nanny Deirdre brings Avery home and Carly introduces her and Avery to Nell. Deirdre points out how “fire” Carly’s earrings are, and how she could never afford a pair like that. Carly says no matter what they cost, Avery will be after them, and takes them off. Deirdre goes upstairs to get Avery’s things ready for a visit with Ava. Carly explains to Nell how Avery has a different mother, but Sonny wants Avery to have a relationship with her. Nell says she’s seen a toll taken on children because of their parents. She says Avery is a lucky girl.

Morgan tells Ava to back off. She says sooner or later, he’ll hurt Kiki again and she won’t just be standing by.

Some dude demands service at the kiosk. Kiki tells him Morgan will be back in a minute. He suggests Kiki whip something up for him and tries to make a pass at her. He touches her and she backs away. He tells Kiki to relax and she tells him to drop dead. He says he pulls in six figures and can pay for more than a coffee. Kiki says she’s not for sale and walks away, but when dude tries to follow her, Morgan steps in.

Afterglow and Pad Thai at Jordan’s. She orders Andre to quit his job and just cook. She says maybe she can make an exception for some things – like cooking in the bedroom. I added that last part. They get busy and her evidence folders get knocked over. Andre sees the picture of the coin and says he’s seen it before.

Naomi claims to have come to give support. Hayden suggests they have dinner somewhere else. Laura makes a soap opera face at Elizabeth.

Doc tells Lucy he’s having dinner with Laura. She brings up how well he’s dressed and he says she must be meeting someone too, considering what she’s wearing. Like we’ve ever seen Lucy not dressed well, even in her underwear. She tells him she’s meeting Scotty.

Morgan steps on dude’s earpiece and dude punches him. A fight starts and Kiki calls Sonny. She tells him that Morgan is in trouble and to get to the kiosk.

Sonny apologizes for leaving dinner before dessert. Deirdre says Avery’s stuff is ready for her overnight. Nell starts to clear the table and bumps Deirdre. Deirdre drops her bag and Carly’s earrings fall out.

Kiki tries to stop the fight and dude calls her a stuck up bitch. Morgan brings his fist back for a good punch in the face. Kiki tells Morgan to stop. Ava shows up, asking if Kiki really wants to live her life like this. Finally Morgan lets dude go, telling him to get lost, but dude says he’s calling the cops.

Deirdre says she has no idea how the earrings got in there. Carly wants her key back. She tells Deirdre she’ll pay her for the week, but she’s fired. Nell is playing with Avery and tells Carly maybe Deirdre was telling the truth. Carly says she has to be particular about security measures and can’t take chances. She says her search for a nanny is back on. You see where this is going and how it got there, right?

The cops show up at the coffee kiosk..

Andre says it’s a Roman coin from whatever A.D. Because Andre has already been consulted on the murders, Jordan explains about Valerie and the cuff-link. Andre asks if she thinks the murderer was trying to get the cuff-link back. Jordan says she thinks it’s a good lead, but she also thinks she knows who it belongs to. She believes that the killer is right under her nose, but she can’t see it.

Ava shows up at Sonny’s and asks why she saw the nanny being escorted from the property. Carly says something about her being a thief and Ava is like, I don’t want that around my daughter. She asks if Nell is the new nanny and Carly says it’s none of her business. Ava goes upstairs to get Avery. Carly tells Nell that in the beginning, they were just like the parents Nell described, but Sonny realized that he had to change that for Avery’s sake. She tells Nell that Ava is more copacetic, but still can’t be trusted. Upstairs, Ava sneaks into Morgan’s room, confirming what Carly just said.

Morgan tells the cops that dude bothered Kiki. One of the officers asks if Kiki is okay and if Morgan wants to press charges. He says he just wants dude gone and the cops escort dude out. Sonny arrives, but Kiki says Morgan had it under control.

Doc says he didn’t know Lucy was seeing Scotty. She says it’s just casual, and Doc says he gets it. She apologizes for rubbing it in his face. He says when she cheated with Scotty, it hurt him, but he’s past that. He does think Scotty isn’t good enough for her though. She brings up that they’re two formerly married couples switching partners. Please, don’t suggest a double-date.

Laura wants to cancel her dinner plans. She says going out after losing Nicholas doesn’t seem right. Elizabeth says Nicholas wouldn’t want her to stop living, and Doc is probably the only man he’d deem worthy of her attention.

Hayden and Naomi sit down to dinner. Naomi says she didn’t realize how much Hayden hated school. Hayden says Elizabeth just got under her skin and thanks Naomi for being supportive. Naomi says she had her lawyers go over the financials, and it’s not good – Laura has been put in charge of everything. Naomi tells her to come back to the city. She says Hayden doesn’t need to be around Elizabeth and Hayden asks what she’s talking about.

Andre says serial killers feel like they’re bringing order to the chaos in their lives because of some real or imagined slight. He says they’re usually arrogant micro-managers who are also charismatic. She says he just described half the doctors at GH and it could even be him. I hope she’s kidding around, although he’d be one of the few men who might wear cuff-links. I have to add that at the beginning of the scene, Jordan gave him some coffee while he was talking and he threw a thank you her way in the middle of the sentence, which made it seem like a real conversation. Bravo, Anthony Montgomery!

Laura meets Doc and thanks him for encouraging her to get out. Lucy sends over champagne.

Elizabeth talks to Nicholas’s picture. The old Nicholas’s picture. Hmm… This makes me think he’s not dead, because if he was, wouldn’t we see the last guy’s picture? She starts to go out the door and almost trips over a box that’s been delivered. It’s from Nicholas.

Naomi says it’s not just Elizabeth, it’s the entire situation. She says no one has given Hayden anything but grief since she got there and she should get away. Hayden brings up Spencer and Naomi says no way anyone is going to let her get involved. She tells Hayden she’s not walking away with anything and she should close the book on Port Charles.

Carly looks for someone to babysit temporarily, but can’t find anyone except Max and Milo. Carly wonder what about Nell? Big shock.

Kiki apologizes for calling Sonny. Morgan says he understands, but he finally felt like he could think before he acted. Sonny says as long as he sticks to therapy and medication, he can handle anything. We see Ava picking up Morgan’s bottle of lithium.

Tomorrow, Sonny can’t wait to see what Morgan does, Doc asks Laura to come up for a nightcap, and Nina tells Franco that she met a tall, handsome stranger.

The Real Housewives of the OC

When we last left, Heather was sobbing in the limo to Terry about Kelly’s behavior at Tamra and Meghan’s party. After she tried to throw Kelly out of a party that she wasn’t hosting. I actually thought that was pretty funny.

Meghan sends a wish-you-were-here text to Jim while she’s at the doctor’s office. Meghan rehashes the party with her mother, telling her that Kelly called Shannon a see-you-next-Tuesday name. The doctor comes out and gives Meghan the lowdown. There are four viable embryos. She gets Jim on the phone. It’s three girls and a boy, and Jim already has three boys. The doctor says the best embryo is one of the girls with a 90% chance and the least viable is one of the boys, with a 60% chance. Jim wants to talk to Meghan alone. They’d wanted a boy, but since the girl has the better chance, she suggests they do both. Jim agrees. Meghan says she never imagined her husband wouldn’t be in the same room with her when she got pregnant, yet here we are. The implant is done pretty quickly.

Tamra meets Heather at a place called The Writing Studio, where Heather’s daughter is taking a class. Heather tells Tamra she’s exhausted and damaged. I have the feeling she doesn’t even know what damaged is if she thinks seeing someone behave badly at a party can be filed under that. Tamra thinks there’s something seriously wrong with Kelly, and that she lashes out against other people because she’s been hurt. Heather says she’s proud of Tamra for being so reasonable and not reacting like a heathen at the party. Heather wonders how they’ll be able to invite Kelly to anything again. Tamra has a trip planned and is on the fence about what to do. Heather is bringing her kids, so she’s concerned Kelly might flip out in front of them.

Kelly visits Meghan, who is back from the implanting. She shows Kelly the first ultrasound. Kelly has been through the same procedure, so she can identify. Meghan says she’s going to be blunt, she’s on Shannon’s side this time and Kelly was wrong to name call. Kelly says she went from 0 to 10 immediately and she’s sorry. Meghan says she was hypocritical as well, since the whole thing started with Kelly being upset at being called a prostitute. She says even though she loves Kelly, she was embarrassed to be her friend when she was acting psychotic. I never thought I’d say this, and I’m still not crazy about her, but I’m with Meghan here. I totally get why Kelly is pissed about Shannon inviting those girls to the party, and I’m even not so sure it wasn’t done on purpose, but she has got to get herself under control.

Kelly says she felt ganged up on and got defensive, and nothing like that had ever happened to her before. She should have stopped there. She goes on to tell Meghan that it wasn’t about herself and that Meghan will understand when she’s a mother. In her interview, Meghan says that Kelly is way out of line here and isn’t considering what affect her behavior might have on her own daughter. Meghan suggests Kelly can move beyond this by stopping and considering logic next time. I think Kelly knows how badly she screwed up and now she’s scared. Kelly says she’s lucky to have Meghan as a friend.

David calls Shannon and sings Happy Birthday. He says he has some special things planned and to pack a suitcase and be ready in twenty minutes. They’re going on an overnight. In her interview, Shannon says it’s hard for David to surprise her. Even when he was going to propose, the jewelry store called and left a message that he ring was ready.

David arrives and Shannon is gathering up the million things she needs, trying to pack. We flash back to last year’s birthday, which was not the best. Just packing all her potions, lotions and holistic treatments takes Shannon forever.

The gang has all been invited to a surprise party in Santa Fe. On the party bus, we find out that David has also planned a vow renewal. Heather has been helping him on the sly.

Shannon is pretty excited. David tells her that it’s something they’ll remember for the rest of their lives. Shannon has gotten a lot of birthday texts, as well as a phone call from Vicki inviting her to Vicki’s birthday celebration that is coming up. She says she forgives Vicki, but doesn’t want to be her friend anymore and thinks Kelly is a nutcase. Hey, at least she didn’t get an enema doohickey stuck in herself.

They arrive at the inn where Shannon and David got married. They’re in the Honeysuckle Suite. Shannon is thrilled at David’s thoughtfulness. I have to admit, he’s recovered well from the cheating thing.

Vicki meets Kelly for lunch. Kelly says they’re the odd men out, since everyone else is at Shannon’s party. Vicki says a lot has changed in a year, since at this same time last year, she and Shannon were very close. Kelly tries to justify what she did at the party, although she admits she shouldn’t have called Shannon the c-word. Vicki says her mother was a screamer and she’s the same way. We flash back to the 80s party from God only knows how many seasons ago. Yep. She’s a screamer.

Kelly wants Vicki to teach her how to be a better person. Vicki suggests poise. Good luck with that. I don’t think poise is Kelly’s strong suit. Vicki adds that they’ll make fools of the other women. Highly unlikely. Kelly says they’re hated because the others want to be them. Nope.

Jeff, Jenni and Gage from Flipping Out are at the party. David tells Shannon they’re going to dinner. Heather coordinates with David and has everyone stand at the ready. Shannon is totally shocked at seeing all the guests. Lots of applause and happy birthdays. How long before someone brings up Kelly and Vicki?

Vicki and Kelly discuss going to Greece. Vicki asks if Kelly is okay with going without her husband. Kelly says of course, and the reason they’d separated was because he was too controlling. They talk about Kelly’s marriage and how one minute she’s madly in love and the next she wants to jet.

David takes Shannon outside and she gets all emotional. Inside, Jeff talks to Tamra about the rift between Shannon and Vicki. Heather tells the others that David has another surprise and took Shannon back to their room. The hostess comes in to escort them to the next venue. It’s a gorgeous outdoor space with lots of candles and twinkles, where it looks like a fairy wedding is about to take place.

At the Honeysuckle Suite, David tells Shannon he’s nervous and she wonders what he has to be nervous about. He walks her to where the others are. Shannon is totally freaked and asks why the kids are there. She tells David she’s blown away and that she would have worn a different dress. Yep, that’s the downside to surprises. You have to go with whatever you’re wearing at the time.

In her interview, Shannon says she wouldn’t be with David today if it hadn’t been for the pastor who’s officiating. She says this reinforces that the choices she made in staying together were the right ones. David tells Shannon how much he loves her and can’t wait to spend the next 50 years growing old with her. In her interview, Shannon says it’s a gift that her children are able to witness this. Heather says blah-blah-blah because I’m annoyed with her. The pastor re-pronounces them husband and wife. Shannon says it would have been easier to give up, but their children were all worth it. Meghan says it’s spectacular to make this kind of rebound from an affair less than two years later. I agree. Oh Lord, that’s the second time I’ve agreed with Meghan tonight.

Shannon thanks everyone for coming. The hostess comes out and points everyone to the diner table. Shannon tells David everything is surreal. He tells her there’s another surprise. The next day they’re going on a second honeymoon in Cabo. He’s even arranged for someone to take care of the kids.

David stands up to make a toast, saying he’s proud of where they’ve been and where they’re going. Holy! Someone makes a joke about the cake having a bonfire on it, but it’s true. Shannon blows out the candles.

Next time, it’s Vicki’s turn for a birthday celebration, Meghan might be pregnant, Ryan comes home to the OC and Heather confronts Kelly.

August 21, 2016 – NJ Wife Teresa Loses the Bracelet & Fear the Walking Dead Finds My TV

Standard

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

The Real Housewives of New Jersey

Dolores is getting a “facelift” for her house. Frank has sent a crew (where can you get an ex-husband like him?), but she wants things done a certain way and is trying to get ahold of him. She wanted to gut the kitchen and he’s only refacing it. Siggy says she’s a hustler and a survivor who’s basically living off of Frank.

Siggy and Delores visit Jacqueline (bleh) who they think looks “adorable” shoveling snow. It doesn’t take Jacqueline long to bring up Teresa, make fun of her accent, and say that she’s passive/aggressive. Siggy says the two of them are fencing by hitting each other’s trigger points.

Melissa says when Joe #2 and Teresa have tension, it trickles down. She’s miffed that Jacqueline called him, and Joe says the girls constantly twist his words around. Melissa says he shouldn’t have gotten pulled into a chick fight.

Teresa is looking forward to getting her ankle bracelet taken off. You don’t even have to go somewhere for this – Joe #1 is cutting it off with a pair of scissors. The kids are having a snow day, which Joe says is good for them, not so much for him. Teresa is thrilled that she can now pick up her kids at school and do whatever she needs to. Joe roughhouses with Milania and Teresa reminds him that he doesn’t have boys and says he’s too rough with the kids. Joe thinks yelling at them is a better idea.

Melissa meets Jacqueline <sigh and eye roll> for lunch. She asks what happened with Teresa. She’s not happy with Jacqueline calling Joe #2. She says she wishes Jacqueline wouldn’t have put him in that position. Because she has no empathy for anyone else, Jacqueline starts waving her finger in Melissa’s face, saying how much she’s done for their family. Melissa thinks something’s “off” with her and tells her that she’s creating problems. Jacqueline tells her that Teresa brought Joe up first. In her interview, Jacqueline says that the new namaste Teresa is a con artist. Jacqueline suggests that she and Melissa just never bring Teresa up again, which is beyond ridiculous. Melissa is like, why does this have to be complicated? I’ll tell you why. Because Jacqueline is a self-centered moron who wants to dictate other people’s behavior.

Siggy’s parents visit her. She tells them how her kids are growing up in a different generation and talks to her parents about getting them interested in family and tradition. Siggy grew up in Israel. Her father was a Holocaust survivor and she says she comes from a family of survivors. Her father talks about how Fridays were always family nights and they made sure to have dinner together. Siggy says after her divorce, she let things with the kids slide and wants to change that.

Ashlee tells her parents that they’re young and cool. Okay. It’s her one-year anniversary with her boyfriend, Pete, and he’s coming over for dinner. They’re talking about moving in together and Chris says it’s a big commitment and makes it known that marriage is preferable. Chris says Pete reminds him of himself. In the kitchen, Pete confides in Jacqueline that he wants to look at rings, but he’d like her help. She gets so excited, she drops the silverware.

The Gorgas go to the Giudices for dinner. Melissa asks Teresa if her leg feels lighter. They talk about health topics and Teresa confuses an enema with edamame. I literally LOL. Melissa tells her about the lunch with Jacqueline. Teresa says she’s evil and tells Melissa about Jacqueline baiting her. Melissa thinks the problem is they’re both Tauruses, but says since she’s the ram, she’s going to butt them in a minute. Teresa says she’s done with Jacqueline and her innocent act. I agree with her on that. Jacqueline loves to act like she wears a halo, but she’s always spoiling for a fight or some kind of drama.

Siggy tells her son that they’ll be doing Kiddish (a Jewish celebratory meal) on Fridays from now on. She says she doesn’t want the kids to be “super Jews,” but she does want to start some traditions. Her parents are joining them. She announces no phones at the table. She says family and tradition bring you together.

Frank goes to Dolores’s house. She tells him she wants to knock one of the kitchen walls down. Frank agrees. She moves next to wanting a tile floor, but compromises when he says he’ll do a darker finish. She suggests he just give her the money, but that’s a no.

Teresa is holding a family meeting. She says she grew up not talking about feelings, and she wants her daughters to be able to express their opinions. She tells everyone to write down what improvements they’d like and Milania suggests no sisters. Her next best suggestion is for her sisters and dad to stop calling her fat, and tells Joe #1 he’s no one to talk because he looks pregnant. I guess he deserved that one. Teresa makes a promise not to answer the phone when she’s engaging with the girls. Am I seeing this right? Does their dog have a magenta mohawk?

Sophie says she has no social life without her phone. Siggy tells her that being connected to the phone is a disconnect with the real world. She wants her son to hand over his phone as well, but Siggy’s father says he’s a good kid and to get off his back.

Teresa feels the family meeting was a success. Tomorrow is Milania’s 10th birthday and she wants to do something special.

When Milania gets home from school, a pink limo is waiting. The family goes to something called iFly, where you get in a chamber and float around like you’re skydiving. It reminds me of that scene in Willy Wonka when they steal the Fizzy Lifting Drinks. It looks like a lot of fun.

Pete and Jacqueline go ring shopping. Neither one of them believe it’s happening. Jacqueline says although Ashlee is 25, she still thinks of her as a little kid. We flash back to Ashlee being a jerkface in the past and getting kicked out of the house.

Milania says for her 11th birthday, she wants to go real sky diving. In her interview, Teresa talks about Joe not being there for Milania’s next birthday. She says when they got married, she never dreamed she’d even be having these conversations, but somehow they’ll get through it.

Dolores’s dog, Boo, is having kidney failure and I can’t bear hearing her talk about it. Jacqueline shows up with her own sledge hammer to help demo the kitchen. I’m sure she’s good at wrecking walls. Dolores’s business partner, Maz, calls her up, annoyed that she’s busy with her kitchen and not at work. She wonders if she’s sabotaging herself. She’s been divorced 18 years, and in her interview, Siggy suggests that Dolores start standing on her own.

Melissa suggests a girls trip to Crystal Springs over the weekend. Teresa wants to know who’s invited, and when Melissa hesitates, Teresa asks if Melissa really expects her to spend her first free weekend with Jacqueline. Melissa says it’s just to put things in a peaceful place and her girlfriends will be there with her.

Meanwhile, back at the kitchen, Dolores and Siggy talk to Jacqueline, and Jacqueline asks if this is a Teresa/Jacqueline intervention. Dolores says letting time go by will just create more animosity. Jacqueline acts like she’s on board with that, but no way I would trust her.

Teresa’s book, Turning the Tables, arrives in the mail. She reads the dedication to her daughters out loud and starts tearing up. She’s been on the NY Times Best Seller List three times and Joe tells her it’s a great accomplishment. Teresa tells him about going to Crystal Springs to celebrate her newfound freedom.

Next time, the girls trip happens, Teresa calls Joe to come pick her up, and Jacqueline gets stupid.

Fear the Walking Dead

Great, I have to remember all these people’s names again.

Nick wakes up next to a dead body. Sophia is in the doorway and tells him that things changed quickly. She says there’s a group headed south and he should come. He asks if there’s a place to go for someone like Celia. She says there are places that embrace the dead, but it’s dangerous on the road. He decides to head north. She gives him supplies and tells him it won’t be an easy trip.

Nick begins his journey and there’s a song part. It’s pretty desolate, no other people or zombies. He sees a couple of cars that look like they were in an accident. He flashes back to a thumb wrestling match with a girl when he was in rehab. She tells him he needs to make nice with his parents to get out more quickly and suggests they role play with her being his dad. Nick tells his “father” about how he used to be there, but isn’t any more. He gets a little emotional and the girl hugs him.

Back in the present, Nick comes across a town. He enters a house. It’s totally empty, without even any furniture. He makes a fire and has some food. His back is to an open door, which I don’t advise during a zombie apocalypse. Or maybe at any time.

Someone enters the house and wakes a sleeping Nick. It’s a woman and a little girl. The woman screeches at him in Spanish while hitting him with a baseball bat as the girl cowers in the corner. Nick quickly gathers up his stuff and gets out.

Further down the road, there are more cars, some with zombies in them. Since zombies can’t figure out seat belts, he reaches into one of the cars for supplies. He finds a radio. As he fiddles with it, a Jeep comes up the road and he ducks down behind a car. The Jeep stops and some guys with weapons get out..

They see a nearly dead man in a car, moaning, and spear him through the eye. They find it amusing and Nick starts to get concerned. Right then, the radio makes a noise and the guys know Nick is there. He runs and they chase him, shooting at him. He serpentines through a wooded area. Great, now he’s lost his backpack and the radio.

Nick stops to catch his breath and comes to an open field. We get a crane shot and it looks like he’s in the middle of nowhere. I’m assuming this is an all Nick episode? Nick examines a cactus, kicking a piece of it off to get to the inside. He tries to squeeze some liquid into his mouth and is unsuccessful. Dude, just, okay, he’s opening it up and chewing on the pieces. But they don’t stay down. Bummer. He takes a pee and drinks that. (Sorry.)

Nick hunkers down next to an abandoned truck. We flash back to rehab again. He and the girl are waiting for their parents. Madison shows up and Nick tells the girl good luck. The social worker tells Nick that he’s meeting with his mom in private for a moment.

Madison tells Nick his father isn’t coming. He was in an accident coming home. It was a head-on collision and he didn’t make it. Nick doesn’t take it well. His friend hears him yell and looks through the room window as his mother tries to comfort him.

Nick awakens to a pack of dogs that think he’s food. He beats them off and climbs to the top of the truck. Good thing they aren’t cats. Nick is seriously having the worst luck. The dogs suddenly stop and Nick sees a load of zombies coming toward them. The dogs attack the zombies who don’t really seem to react. Okay, the zombies eat the dogs. I guess they’re just slow.

Nick is baking on the top of this truck and the zombies are still hanging around. They suddenly notice him and head in his direction. He hears a horn and then gunshots. I guess the zombies do too, and go toward the noise. Nick jumps down from the truck and grabs a belt off of a zombie to use as a tourniquet. He’s able to walk among them since he’s covered in zombie blood. He imagines a female zombie is the girl from rehab and she’s talking to him.

40 miles to Tijuana. Nick continues to shuffle along and here come those guys in the Jeep again. Talk about a rock and a hard place. The guys start shooting at the zombies. WTF, Nick? The zombies get shot around him, but he’s totally focused on the front most guy. They lock eyes. When the dude realizes it’s Nick, he gets distracted, dtops his weapon and ammunition and the zombies attack. The guy who is driving the Jeep takes off like a rocket. Can’t say as I blame him. The zombies move on after eating their fill.

A group of three people see Nick through binoculars. One of them wants to help Nick, But Luci, who seems to be in charge, doesn’t want to. Nick falls to his knees as the zombies continue on. He again thinks about the girl in rehab. They’re in bed together and he’s reading a book his dad gave him. They do some heroin, so apparently their parents wasted the money on rehab. In the present, it begins to rain. Nick wakes up and opens his mouth, thirsty for water.

Nick limps into a town where there are normal dog sounds, but no people. It’s pretty big, so I’m thinking maybe this is Tijuana. He makes his way to a drug store. Nick throws things around, looking through the shelves, finding nothing of use. He goes into a barber shop where he wraps his wound. The three people who’d been watching him come in. He explains in broken Spanish that the bite is from a dog and asks for water. Luci says she knows someone who can help him. She tells Nick, “Vamos!” and even I know what that means.

They go to a medical clinic, where Alejandro, a pharmacist who speaks English, tells Nick he’s working on an infection and tends to the bite. Alejandro tells him he’s foolish; death is not to be feared, but it shouldn’t be pursued either. Nick tells Alejandro that it was safer walking with the zombies than dealing with the gunmen. Alejandro asks why he came all this way. Nick says he wants to be where the dead aren’t monstrous and Alejandro opens the double doors. Nick follows him to the street.

It’s like a normal place, with people walking around and kids playing. Nick is mesmerized. A soccer ball comes toward him. He kicks it and smiles.

Next time, Alejandro tells Nick it’s not his place, Travis and Madison deal with a lot of violence, and Madison tells Travis he has false hope.

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Lulu presents various nursery lamps for Dylan’s approval – in the interrogation room. He suggests maybe she’s getting a little ahead of things.

Laura and Tracy wait for the DNA test result on the bracelet. Tracy says Monica put a rush on it, but obviously not as much of one as Nell’s kidney test.

Franco startles Elizabeth, popping up from the back seat of her car.

Kristina leaves a message for Parker, telling her she’s rude for ignoring her calls, wondering if her mother dictated Parker’s letter, and babbling in general. Actually, she seems drunk. Molly hears her, grabs her phone, and throws it over the railing.

It’s time for Alexis to face the bar. And I don’t mean in a good way. Diane thinks she has a shot at redemption.

Tracy tells Laura that she’s sorry about Nicholas. She says they worked together on a project once, and he was very good. Laura is worried about the DNA results. Tracy says Luke has almost met his end a million times and he wouldn’t allow it to happen on Cassadine Island.

Lulu tells Dante she doesn’t want to believe her father is dead. She hasn’t heard back from Lucky either. She says Dante and Rocco are getting her through, as well as the plans for the new baby.

Okay, Kristina is drunk dialing. She claims she was going to call an Uber and tries to go after her phone, but Molly stops her. Kristina tells Molly about Alexis driving Parker away. She says their mom has interfered in her life for the last time and she hopes they throw the book at her.

The moderator reviews what happened with Carrrlos and Alexis refusing to consider the DA’s offer. He asks if she disputes any of it. Diane says no, and the judge says all that’s left is the closing statement. Geez, everything moves so fast in Port Charles, you’d think it was some huge cosmopolitan city. Olivia bursts in asking if she’s too late.

Elizabeth jumps out of the car. Franco says he needs to talk to her and it seemed like the only place he could do it. He tells her he’s sorry.

Olivia says she’d like to make a statement. The moderator says they have it on paper, but she wants to make it in person. She says meaning no disrespect, they’re all being played for fools. The moderator says by who, and Olivia brings up Mayor Lomax, saying the mayor wants revenge and they can’t let her get away with it. The moderator says even though unorthodox, they thank her for her statement. Alexis asks to speak on her own behalf.

Kristina says she wants Alexis to lose something she cares about and to have consequences for her actions. Molly says she’s mad at Julian, but doesn’t want Alexis to lose her license. Molly says they need to have the kind of love where you let someone hate you so they don’t hurt themselves. I have no idea what she means.

Tracy says it would be just like Luke to be relaxing half a world away while they worry about him being dead. Laura apologizes for being against Luke and Tracy getting married. Tracy says it was all for the best in the long run, but Laura asks if she’s still in love with Luke.

Alexis starts from when she was born, and tells the bar how her mother’s murderer was never prosecuted. She says she became a lawyer because she grew up with no justice. She tells them that Carrrlos killed Duke under Julian’s orders, but chose not to give Julian up, and her desire to protect Julian had nothing to do with it. She says honoring the client’s wishes sometimes is at odds with what’s best for them, and legal counsel can only improve by learning from mistakes. She says she will do better, but can’t if they won’t let her try.

Molly says it never occurred to Kristina that Parker might be using her. Kristina accuses her of getting off on it because it makes Molly look better. She says she can’t wait for the day that Molly realizes that she’s never really lived. Molly calls her a mean drunk. She says every time Kristina has a choice, she picks the wrong one, always leaning toward chaos.

Franco says he didn’t know that Elizabeth was the one who got him off the hook and he’s sorry. He adds that she let him go on a tirade and could have clued him in. He says he thought she doubted his innocence and doubted getting involved with him. He asks if that’s no longer the case.

Lulu talks about furnishing the nursery with flea market finds and Dante says he knows nothing about refinishing furniture. She says she does because she looked it up on the internet. Lulu gets a call from Dr. Lee telling her that her malaria test is negative. She can start hormone treatments now.

Tracy says she’s tried not to be in love with Luke, but hasn’t been able to shake him. Laura talks about falling in love with Luke when she was just a girl and going on an adventure with him. She says they got married and had kids, but she never grew up because he was always there to save her. She says Scotty always treated her like a child too, and when people treat you like a child, you continue to be one. She says she finally started to grow up when there were no more kids to raise and no husband to please or define her. She’s finally started to define herself.

The DNA samples don’t match the bracelet.

Elizabeth tells Franco she was uncomfortable on their date. She could have fooled me. She says for a while she could see him as an eccentric artist, but his past is violent and unstable. She says sometimes he triggers memories of who he used to be. She gives him the it’s me, not you speech, and says she doesn’t think she can make peace with his past and doesn’t think they should see one another any more.

Out in the hall, Alexis thanks Olivia. She says Olivia was right to worry about Julian and protect Leo, and apologizes for getting Leo’s DNA behind her back. Olivia says she was fooled too, and actually believed Julian could be a good father. She leaves and Alexis and Diane are called back in.

Kristina tells Molly to get lost, and that she doesn’t need her judgments. She screams in Molly’s face and Molly leaves. Kristina sits down and cries. Molly comes back and hugs her.

The moderator gives Alexis all kinds of props, but says she acted negligently in Carrrlos’s case. He says for that reason, they can’t allow her to continue practicing law in New York state. Diane says she’s going to appeal, but he says they didn’t rule to disbar, just suspend. Indefinitely. They’ll reconvene in a year and review Alexis’s conduct. If it sucks, she’ll be disbarred.

Lulu finds out about Luke and hugs Dante. Olivia comes in and wonders why Lulu is crying, but seems happy. Lulu tells her that her dad is still alive and also that she’s getting an embryo implant. Olivia is thrilled.

Tracy says they still don’t know where Luke is. Laura says that’s not unusual and that he frequently falls off the grid. Tracy thinks Laura is gearing up to track Luke down and says she can help, but Laura says she’s not going to do it this time.

Olivia’s intuition tells her that Lulu is going to have a girl. Dylan says he doesn’t doubt Olivia’s psychic powers, but he’s skeptical. Olivia says fine, but they’re having a girl. She leaves and Lulu and Dante say they don’t really care which it is.

Franco says he thinks there’s something special between him and Elizabeth. She thinks they should end it before it ends badly and they hurt each other. Franco says he lied a little about the painting of her. He says it’s true that he sees her as beautiful in an ugly world, but she’s an angel who gives him hope. He thought she might be his salvation, someone who looks past the evil in his life that he’s tried to distance himself from, and sees there’s still good in him. She says he has to find salvation in himself.

Diane orders martinis for her and Alexis at the MetroCourt. She tells Alexis to take some classes or something and the year will fly by. Alexis says it won’t and she’s made spectacular errors in judgment, but she was good at her job. She says she doesn’t know what she’ll tell her kids. Diane says the kids will be fine and she’ll find a reason to get up in the morning besides work.

Laura tells Tracy it’s not her place to go after Luke anymore and she has people who need her. Tracy asks if Doc is one of them. Laura says she was thinking about Lulu and Spencer, but she does want to see Doc. She tells Tracy if she loves Luke, she should go find him. Tracy leaves another message for Luke, saying it’s time for him to call. She doesn’t want to know where he is, but only that he’s okay.

Franco says Elizabeth is right and it’s not her job to save him, He says he’ll find salvation on his own. Elizabeth tells him he has a gift and should use it, and to keep painting salvation in art. He kisses her on the cheek and says he’ll see her around.

I count five martini glasses, but don’t know who drank what. Diane says she has to get up early and has to go. She tells Alexis she’s sorry this is happening. Alexis says it’s not that she wasn’t warned and next time stop her before she self destructs. Diane tells her she’ll get through this and she’ll call her tomorrow. Alexis orders another martini and says keep the tab open.

Kristina asks Molly why she’s still there. Molly says she’s still her sister and she doesn’t judge her, she looks up to her. Kristina says she doesn’t deserve Molly’s niceness. Molly says she does, and if Parker didn’t make her feel that way, it’s time to move on. She suggests getting a pizza and watching a movie. They leave for home.

Kristina’s forgotten phone rings. It’s parker

Tomorrow, Laura argues with Hayden, Finn is close to an answer, andClaudette isn’t going anywhere.

Little Woman: LA

Kerwin is highly pissed because Tonya still has to get some of her stuff from Jaa’s place. Kerwin says she’s wasting his time. Tonya says it’s not her fault and she thinks Kerwin is being unreasonable. Tonya is hurt that Kerwin doesn’t believe or trust her. In her interview, Tonya says she wants to make this work and will do whatever it takes. Kerwin says he’s out of there. Tonya says she’ll take care of it, but he says seeing is believing.

Elena’s twins have been released from the hospital after only two weeks. Both Kairo and Xavier are just over four pounds each and so precious, like little baby dolls. They still have to do a genetic test to see if either one is a little person, but for now, Elena just wants to enjoy them.

Briana and Terra have an appointment with a photographer to do pregnancy photos. In her interview, Terra says she’s glad to let the Matt issues go and is ready to have fun with Briana again. Briana’s photos are beautiful, but Terra’s are more “out there.” She wants her baby to think she was cray.

Terra discusses Tonya’s comment about it being good that Briana is having a little baby rather than average sized, because she just can’t understand the comment had nothing to do with her and wants to continue to take it personally. Briana says whatever stature her children are, she’s still large and in charge. She wonders who Tonya is to judge her. Terra says she hasn’t spoken to Tonya since she critiqued Tonya’s active-wear, except they all went to that henna thing together – did that not count or did she forget? In her interview, Terra says she wants to make amends with Tonya because they’ve been friends for 15 years, but she doesn’t want Tonya looking like a fool with her clothing line. She’s also afraid that at some point, Tonya is going to explode.

Jasmine has been doing some extra hours at the salon. She’s not ready to tell her boss she’s pregnant and wonders if there’s anything else she could do to get some extra income. Welcome to my world. She asks her boss about picking up even more work, and her boss suggests sending her to classes so she can expand her hairdressing horizons. Jasmine is excited to be furthering her career.

Matt and Briana go shopping. She tells him about the photo shoot and how well it went with Terra. Matt says he needs to learn how to accept people for who they are and move forward. Briana repeats Tonya’s comment that Terra repeated to her. It’s become a game of telephone and Briana says Tonya claimed she couldn’t handle an average sized child. Matt suggests they just focus on the coming baby.

Tonya is dealing with a thinning spot on her scalp and goes to the hair salon. She discusses it with Jasmine, who also has a thinning hair problem. Jasmine tells Tonya that her salon deals with that a lot. Jasmine says it’s a huge step for Tonya to confide in her, and lets Tonya know she’s pregnant in return. Tonya says Christy is going to be pissed.

Jasmine asks if she missed anything after she left henna day. Tonya tells her about Terra criticizing her clothing line, but says she didn’t receive it as constructive and didn’t think Terra was coming from a good place. Jasmine suggests she tell Terra that this is her dream and either support her or not.

Commercial break. It’s a preview of Little Women: Atlanta. I just can’t anymore. Monie, Money, Minnie, twins whose names I can never remember, whatever. I can’t deal with those girls who are basically going nowhere. At least nowhere there isn’t twerking.

Tonya meets Christy, who has a terrific new haircut and color, at the gym. They work on the Pilates machines. Christy talks about how difficult exercise classes can be for little people. Tonya says she could only invite Christy, since she’s the only one who isn’t pregnant. I’m sure Jasmine will really appreciate her scooping that news.

Once again, Tonya relays what Terra said about her active-wear. She tells Christy about the Habitat for Humanity – Power Women/Power Tool volunteer day she’s invited everyone to. Christy says she’s missed everyone and Tonya says they’ve missed her too. I think Tonya might be exaggerating just a little.

Terra comes to see Elena’s twins. I’m not much of a baby person, but even I want to squish them. She asks how it is caring for both of them. Elena says it’s a lot of work, but better than having them in the hospital. Terra shares a Penny poop story. She asks Elena if she knows if the babies are little or not. Elena says she doesn’t really care as long as they’re healthy. In her interview, Terra says she’s going to get the test right away, so she can be prepared, but she thinks Elena doesn’t want to know because she’s scared. Now who has opinions about someone else’s baby? They talk about Habitat LA, but Terra says she was invited before her fallout with Tonya, so she isn’t sure how that is going to go.

Christy was supposed to go to a jewelry making class with Autumn, but Autumn still isn’t well, so her mom comes instead. Her mom immediately tells the clerk she hates crafts and he’s like, alrighty then. They discuss Autumn and Habitat LA. Christy says she’s been so involved with her own family, she hasn’t had time to think about hanging out with the girls. She says she won’t be happy to see Terra, but she’s glad Tonya reached out to her with the invite. Christy makes a face at her mom’s bracelet making skills, but I think it looks cool.

Jaa brings the rest of Tonya’s stuff to her house. Jaa tries to make peace with Kerwin and Tonya says she just wants to disappear. He says he wishes Kerwin would reconsider his and Tonya’s working relationship. Tonya says she just wants Kerwin to be happy. Kerwin says it’s nothing personal, but he’s not comfortable with Jaa being Tonya’s ex. Jaa accepts that and it’s peace out.

Tonya and Jasmine meet for lunch. Because no one can leave it alone, Jasmine brings up what Tonya said about Briana having a little baby. Tonya says Terra didn’t understand her point. She says Briana doesn’t have a strong personality and even her daughter runs over her. Jasmine says it’s upsetting to other little people moms and Tonya says she’s not talking about them, she’s talking about Briana specifically. In her interview, Tonya is seriously annoyed. She tells Jasmine that Matt is also who he is, and with Briana’s situation, that’s how she feels. Jasmine says she’ll drop it then and Tonya steals some of her cake.

It’s Habitat LA day. While the director is getting Tonya set up with a ladder, Christy arrives. She plans on steering clear of Terra and hopes they keep Terra away from the chainsaws. She tells Tonya that when Terra is pregnant, she turns into an alien. And by that she means from another planet, not another country.

Terra shows up. In her interview, Tonya says she hopes “that heifer” stays focused and keeps her mouth shut. Terra isn’t thrilled to see Christy, but is glad Christy is wearing a hard hat, so she doesn’t get any more “contusions.” Christy tries to be nice, but Terra isn’t having any. Terra tells Tonya she’s been ignoring her calls and says that her inviting Christy would be like if she invited Jaa, which makes no sense. Tonya suggests she just concentrate on volunteerism.

Christy, Tonya and Terra do some spackling. Terra want to talk it out with Tonya, who doesn’t want to discuss it there, but Terra presses the issue. Tonya tells Terra that she hurt her feelings. She says the workout line is her vision and when she’s ready to talk about it, she will. Terra wants to know why they can’t have an adult conversation and Tonya says they will, but not here. Christy tries to interject that it’s not the place because this is for charity and Terra tells her to STFU. Tonya says maybe Terra shouldn’t be there then, and she stomps out.

Next time, vegetable picking, Kerwin is having a party and doesn’t want to invite Terra, Terra comes anyway and starts a fight.

The Real Housewives of NYC

Oh, that’s right. Bethenny is going to tell The Countess what a jerk Tom is. This should be good. Especially since I’m sure The Countess will try to justify it.

Bethenny tells Carole and Ramona that Tom has been unfaithful to The Countess. Ramona tells her not to say that and Carole thinks maybe it’s not him, but Bethenny has a photo. Ramona totally freaks out because everything is all about her. Apparently Tom was drunkenly making out with an ex-Playboy centerfold at a bar for quite a while – after his engagement to The Countess. Ramona wants to see the picture so they can “take a vote” if it’s really him. Yeah, right. Bethenny says it’s him.

Ramona is getting a manicure and can barely keep her sh*t together when The Countess comes in to talk to her. Ramona just gives her bug eyes and a smile while she prattles on. Bethenny shows Carole the picture and she confirms. In her interview, Bethenny says it’s not a question of if, but of when and how. She thinks that The Countess is really in love with the whole atmosphere of getting married though, rather than her upcoming groom.

Bethenny, Sonja and Ramona are waiting for Dorinda and the rest to arrive for dinner. Ramona has told Sonja about Tom, and Bethenny gets pissed. Ramona acts like she didn’t know any better. Sonja talks about having slept with Tom and almost meeting his mother not too long before he became engaged to The Countess. Bethenny wonders if The Countess knows the timeline. Wow. This restaurant is right on the water and I want to be there. At another table. The girls order appetizers.

Dorinda finally arrives with the rest of the women. Sonja and Ramona tun to the table, taking seats to block Bethenny from The Countess. Bethenny bitches at them for being late. Carole is the perpetrator and says she told them to leave without her. A gigantic bowl of iced shrimp comes out and it makes everything better.

The Countess talks about not knowing where Tom is tonight, but not being the jealous type. Dorinda has planned some kind of sandbar trip and Ramona is worried about not getting food if she goes. Dorinda explains that there’s food there. Geez, if you’re that worried, pack a snack. Ramona doesn’t want to come and Dorinda thinks she’s rude.

The ladies change venues, sans Bethenny and Sonja. It’s a really cool Spanish bar where Jules gets up on stage and tries to play the trombone. Now she’s wearing what looks like a vase on her head. That Jules, what a card! Ramona touches up her makeup, telling them she’s going out. Aren’t they out already?

Bethenny tells Sonja that once she gets moody, it’s hard to shake. She says there’s a part of her that feels bad for The Countess, but another that feels like The Countess should have known better. Sonja thinks she should talk to Tom. No. Bethenny asks for his phone number. No. Bethenny dials and says she feels like throwing up. There’s no answer and she says he’s out banging somebody else. She gets voicemail and hangs up. She tells Sonja she’s going to sleep on it.

The next day, Bethenny doesn’t think she can be around The Countess and doesn’t want to ruin her weekend. Carole says that Tom is now saying that Sonja was only a one night stand. He sounds like a real d-bag.

The rest of the girls join them. Ramona tells everyone she’s tired and she’s not going to the sandbar. I don’t know if it’s a place named Sandbar or a sandbar. Ramona isn’t fooling anyone as they know she’s really going shopping. When she changes, Dorinda says she doesn’t look like someone who’s going back to sleep.

Bethenny decides to go shopping with Ramona. She tells Dorinda that Sonja seems to be processing the Tom stuff. Dorinda didn’t realize that Sonja was that involved, but Bethenny says Sonja was going to meet his mom around Thanksgiving. Carole joins them and they discuss whether or not there will be a wedding. Dorinda seems surprised they would even wonder about that, and Bethenny says Dorinda has no understanding about The Countess. In her interview, Dorinda thinks there’s too much focus on the negative.

Dorinda resigns herself to the fact that the girls are going to do what they want. Minus Bethenny, Sonja and Ramona, they get in a small, but very comfortable boat. Drinks and appetizers are served. It looks like the sandbar is really a sandbar. Some guy in a passing boat yells C’est le vie to The Countess and she goes out of her mind with joy because they’ve recognized her and know her “music.”

The other three go to a restaurant. Bethenny has decided to talk to The Countess before they leave Miami. In her interview, Ramona wonders if Tom thinks he’s invisible.

Carole gets into a canoe to go on a food run. She comes back with ice cream and everyone wonders why she didn’t bring hot dogs. She says she ate one on the way, but didn’t think they’d want any. Carole. The Countess talks about Bethenny questioning her and asking if she and Tom are monogamous. Carole tries to defend Bethenny, saying that Bethenny is just concerned because of her own experiences.

Bethenny tells Ramona about trying to call Tom. She says the right thing to do is to tell her friend.

The Countess wants to correct Bethenny’s misconceptions. She says she had an open marriage with The Count, but it wasn’t what she wanted; she just put up with it.

Dorinda tells Jules that Ramona is a dog that bites and the girls who wouldn’t come along to the sandbar were rude. Bethenny has heard that The Countess isn’t happy with her, so she’s invited her friend, Romero, a famous artist, to dinner. The better to deflect things. The Countess doesn’t know who he is and thinks it’s bizarre that she would bring him.

The Countess asks why Ramona and friends didn’t want to go to the sandbar. Dorinda says Ramona was ill-mannered by pretending she wanted to relax, but Ramona says she relaxed at Bagatelle. She and Ramona hug it out. Honestly, it’s not like Dorinda had to go by herself.

The Countess says blah-blah-blah about Tom and Sonja claims to have been a one night stand for ten years. I have to add that Sonja is wearing a tiara.

It’s the end of the trip. They’re getting ready to leave and The Countess goes to Bethenny’s room. She says something has been bothering her. She says she was hurt by the way Bethenny talked about her and The Count cheating on one another, and felt she cheapened the beauty of their marriage. She asks why Bethenny would ask if she was monogamous with Tom.

Bethenny says she apologizes for what she said about The Countess’s marriage. The Countess again asks why Bethenny asked about she and Tom being monogamous. Bethenny says she has something that was dumped in her lap, and she doesn’t want it to be happening, but she has to show and tell The Countess something. The Countess says please don’t let it be about Tom, and Bethenny says it’s about Tom. She says it’s something true, and she has pictures, and she doesn’t want to be doing this.

The countess says she can’t and leaves. Then she can’t get into her room and tells the cameraman to stop filming. She talks to herself about Tom, saying please don’t let him be stupid.

Next time, The Countess calls Tom, Jules wears a watermelon on her head, Dorinda argues with Bethenny, and Ramona makes it about her.

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

Just a little request. I love it that anyone reads this and especially welcome comments, but please, don’t put the link to your how-I-made-money-on-Google site or whatever multi-level marketing you’re into. A link to a blog I can understand, but the scam of the week is not going to be given airtime. K? Thx.

General Hospital

Jason tells Sam to face her fear and not put off dealing with it. She admits she’s afraid, but shouldn’t be, and tells him she’s pregnant.

Kiki has asked Ava to meet her at the restaurant. Kiki tells her that she supports Morgan completely in telling Ava to back off. Ava asks if Kiki is ready to spend her life with Morgan, because that’s what he has in mind.

Nina apologizes to Carly for contacting Nell, but Carly wants to thank her. Nina says that’s a change, since people don’t usually thank her for disrespecting their boundaries.

Jax sees Nell in the hospital with Sonny. He says he thought she was leaving town and she tells him she was, but Michael stopped her. Now she wants answers, for them and for herself.

Sam thought she had fertility problems and couldn’t get pregnant. Now she’s kicking herself for not modifying her behavior. Like she’s an alcoholic or something. She tells Jason that if she was exposed to malaria, the baby could have it too.

Ava says Morgan knocked on her door, not the other way around. She says she wants what’s best for Kiki and Morgan is only interested in what she can do for him.

Dillon and Morgan meet in the elevator going up to the MetroCourt. Morgan thinks Dillon is there to see Kiki and says he’s pathetic. Dillon asks if he’s so pathetic, why is Morgan threatened by him? Touche.

Curtis joins Carly and Nina. Nina tells Carly that he should be the one she’s thanking. Carly thanks him and he tells her to keep them posted about Josslyn (whose name I’ve been spelling wrong). She leaves and Curtis tells Nina that he wishes he could make every beautiful woman that happy to see him.

Jax is concerned about Nell and sorry that things got heated. She tells him Michael explained that the extended family doesn’t always get along and he says that’s an understatement. Sonny says they all want what’s best for Josslyn. Monica joins them and suggests they get started with the tests, taking Nell back with her. Sonny tells Jax he doesn’t like him much, but admits he’s a good father. He doesn’t understand why Jax doesn’t want to know if Nell is the donor though. Jax says if Nell turns out to be the donor, there’s no going back and they’ll have to tell Josslyn. He’s concerned about how she’ll react.

Curtis and Nina discuss his investigation into bad plastic surgery. She tells him his report looks great and he says he’s two for two now. She says they’ll see if he finishes as strong as he started.

Kiki blows Ava off. Ava’s phone rings. She sees Dillon and Morgan walk in together. Dillon orders coffee and flirts with the server. Morgan gives Kiki flowers. He says he has something to talk to her about and she says ditto. Dillon starts to leave and literally runs into Kiki, spilling the coffee all over himself.

Carly shows up at the hospital. She tells Jax that she’s considered his point of view, but if it turns out Nell is the donor, they’ll have to tell Josslyn. He tells her she’s jumping the gun. Nell comes out and says Monica is putting a rush on the results and everyone should stay put. Carly thanks Nell, but Nell says she’s doing it for herself too.

Carly says they haven’t really had a chance to know Nell and they sit to talk. Nell says she’s an only child, but she always loved kids, which is why she’s studying to be a teacher. Monica comes out with the fastest test results ever. That does it. I’m making friends with a hospital’s chief-of-staff.

Jason tells Sam to quit reading pamphlets and worrying about problems that don’t exist yet. He says they’ll wait for the test results and plan accordingly. She says she knows Jason is scared. He says any man with sense would be afraid, but he loves her and they’re going to deal with it together. Where are guys like this IRL?

The server goes to get Dillon another coffee. Morgan acts stupid like Dillon did this on purpose, and Dillon says he’d better go change before work. Kiki tells Morgan that she literally didn’t see that coming. Morgan makes a snarky remark about coming up in the elevator with Dillon. Ava says she’s got to run and tells Morgan she thinks he left something out when repeating their conversation to Kiki. Kiki asks Morgan what’s up with that and he says he told Ava that wants to marry Kiki.

Sam says she’d wanted a baby, but didn’t dare hope. She was about to tell Jason when he got sick. She says when Finn told her about the possible complications, she went from ecstatic to terrified in a heartbeat. She apologizes for not telling Jason, and says she panicked. She says she made the same mistake in not telling him about Danny and how different their lives would have been if she had. He shows her his hand and says the next time she panics, to grab it. He’s killing me here.

Michael and Sabrrrina are sitting on a bench outside the coffee shop. Michael wants to know why Sabrrrina didn’t tell him that Joe gave her and Teddy a ride home from the hospital. Paranoid much?  Joe comes by and asks if everything is okay.

Monica says the sonogram shows that it’s a strong possibility Nell is the donor. They need a kidney biopsy to be sure, but it’s very invasive and the risks are high. She leaves them to talk about it. Nell says she wants to do it, but the rest think it’s asking too much. She says she wants to know if what happened to her did some good. She steps away, saying she needs time alone.

Carly, Jax and Sonny discuss the possible biopsy. Sonny confesses that he had his people check out her story and thinks Nell is the donor. Carly asks what he found out.

Nina says Curtis’s investigation practically writes itself and she should give him a byline. He says all he does is investigate things and she tells him not to sell himself short.

Ava sees Dillon changing clothes and says she needs to talk to him about something.

Kiki asks Morgan if he’s serious. Morgan says while he loves Kiki, he just said that about getting married to get a rise out of Ava. (Hmm…I dunno about that) He adds that he did want Ava to know Kiki will always be the one for him. The server comes out asking Kiki to please get back to work. Oh, that’s right, she actually has a job there.

Sonny checked out people who have illegally harvested organs within a certain radius. He found a clinic that was shut down a year ago and confirmed that it was operating during Josslyn’s transplant. Carly thanks him and he says he’d do anything for her. Jax says he was hoping to avoid this and wonders how they’ll tell Joss.

Sabrrrina tells Michael about Joe’s fellowship. Joe says he’ll also be doing surgery. Michael’s phone rings. Carly tells him to pick Joss up from camp and bring her to the hospital, and she’ll explain later. He jets. Sabrrrina tells Joe she should go too, and he tells her this has to stop. He says she’s been running hot and cold with him since he arrived. He tells her that he’s not trying to ruin anything for her, but he’s family and they need to be honest with each other.

Carly tells Jax they’ll make everything okay for Josslyn. She thinks Joss will be grateful. Sonny says maybe telling Joss isn’t her call and she might want to consider someone else. Nell comes back. Carly says not to be nervous about the biopsy and they have something else to ask her.

Sam tells Jason she’s mad at herself because she wasted so much time worrying. She tells him about getting sick while she was talking to Elizabeth and how Elizabeth encouraged her to tell him. He says maybe the past got in the way of her being honest.

Nina tells Curtis that what he does is important and it matters. She says Josslyn has a healthier future now. He says he did that because she paid him and if there’s a hero, it’s her. She says no, it should be Carly. She says Carly is an amazing mother and she likes to think she would have been the same way. Curtis says just because being a mother wasn’t in the cards for her doesn’t mean she won’t have a productive life. Thank you.

Ava tells Dillon that his work for Crimson is impressive.and she’d like him to take pictures of some of the art pieces at the gallery. He agrees. She says she was afraid he’d turn her down flat because of Kiki.

Morgan tells Kiki about some plans for the coffee shop, like frequent buyer cards and events. She’s a little taken aback because of the way he’s rattling on. He asks if she thinks he’s being manic again.

Carly explains to Nell what Sonny did. She says it’s all the proof they need. Jax thanks her for saving their daughter. Nell asks if they’re sure it’s enough, and Carly says it is for them. Nell asks Carly what she wanted to ask. Carly says she wants to tell Josslyn that Nell is the donor, and Joss is on her way there. She says she hopes Nell is okay with that, and Nell says sure. Josslyn arrives and asks why everyone is there.

Nina says she has another job for Curtis. She says she’ll give him an expense account, OT, and when it’s over, he gets a bonus; money is no object. She wants him to find her a baby.

Kiki tells Morgan she’s glad he has something he’s passionate about besides her. Not that the latter is a bad thing, but it’s good he has an outside project. She goes back to work because she finally remembers she has a job.

Ava tells Dillon that she was afraid he wouldn’t want to work with her because things didn’t work out with Kiki. He says that’s between him and Kiki. She says they clearly still have a connection, but Dillon says Kiki has a stronger one with Morgan. Ava says if he’s still interested, she knows he has a chance.

Joe says he wants to be in Teddy’s life to give him the support that he couldn’t give to his brother. He says that means being in her life too, and he needs her trust.

Joss is surprised to see Nell, who said she was leaving town. Nell tells her she had a good reason to stay. Joss tells Carly to just say it. Carly tells Josslyn that Nell is her kidney donor and saved her life. Everyone tears up.

Jason tells Sam that he made promises he couldn’t keep when they got married, and it was his fault that he chose to live a certain way. She says she accepted it, but Jason says it kept them apart and their family should have been his priority. She says the baby might not live to be born, but he says the baby is there now, and he’ll do better in keeping his promises. He asks her to marry him.

Tomorrow, Paul tells Tracy that she’s scaring him, Ava encourages Dillon to romance Kiki, and Josslyn does not take the news of her kidney donor well. I realize I’m no longer a teenager, but I fail to see what’s bad about this, especially since it concerns her health.

The Real Housewives of the OC

Kelly visits Tamra. I think Tamra invited her over to have an excuse to drink. OMG – Kelly’s blouse is everything! Kelly tells Tamra about her meeting with Shannon. In her interview, Tamra says she thinks Shannon is good at heart, but has had issues with everyone and we flash back to one of them. Kelly tells her about how she thinks Shannon set her up at the party, but Tamra wonders what would have been in it for her. Tamra adds fuel to the fire by saying that Shannon’s friend, Nina, said that Kelly gives BJs to pay her bills. I’d pontificate on how we’re all prostitutes in some way, but there isn’t enough time.

Tamra is having a last hurrah party, since both she and Meghan have to stop their partying ways for a while. Kelly helps her with Japanese place cards (why Japanese? who knows) and I get confused, wondering why she didn’t involve Jules, who is Asian. Then I remember that Jules isn’t on this show. All these women blend in together after a while.

Vicki and Briana sit down for a meal with Briana’s terror of a toddler. Briana talks about the house renovations and Vicki talks about buying a boat, since Don got the boat in the divorce. Vicki says she wants a husband to do things with. Uh…you don’t need to have a husband for that. She’s bummed about starting over again, and thinking about someone younger this time. Briana suggests she get back with Don, but that’s a no. I don’t care if this sounds old school, but I think any man who wants spousal support from a woman, especially when he makes good money, is a real tool and should be avoided at all costs.

Tamra calls Meghan to make sure she’s okay with the guest list. Meghan is skeptical about inviting Vicki, although she was okay with it the day before. Tamra offers to un-invite Vicki. This seems to be a thing on these shows. I swear, if anyone ever un-invited me to something, it would be the last time we spoke. Meghan decides she’s not coming, which is really lovely since she’s co-hostess. Tamra says she’ll cancel the party and Meghan acts like a hormonal a-hole who can’t decide what her name is, much less who should be invited to anything.

Heather is just home from DC and goes directly to work on The Doctors, where she’s doing some hosting. For a moment, I think she’s talking about the old soap opera and wonder how it could still be on the air. Why are they allowing someone who does leech treatments host this show? She talks about how she and Terry call themselves Mr. and Mrs. Guinea Pig, and shows a picture of them steaming their private areas. Who does that? Better still, who takes a picture of it?

Meghan is working with one of Shannon’s many doctors, Dr. Tim. She’s pretty uncomfortable with bloating and cramps, so she’s hoping to find some holistic relief. He is a real doctor, but he starts talking about the energy field and whatnot. Shannon comes in to observe. She says Dr. Tim deals with both Western and Eastern sports medicine. We see a clip of Shannon seeing him and her crying, “Ow!” like she did during Dr. Moon’s cupping treatments, which irritates me to no end. Her voice hits the same nerve as a piercing bark does and I’m guessing that she must be made out of tissue paper.

Apparently, Dr. Tim was at the 70s party, so we get to see that again too. Tamra comes in and Meghan says she wanted to do baby steps in being friendly with Vicki and then says she thinks Vicki should come to the party. I can’t take much more of her mood swings. Shannon goes blah-blah-blah about negativity. In her interview, Shannon says she’s immovable on not wanting to be in Vicki’s sphere. Tamra brings up Shannon inviting Vicki to the 70s party and tells her not to shame others for doing the same thing she did, adding that you can’t hold on to sh*tty feelings forever. In her interview, Tamra schools us in forgiveness. Shannon can’t seem to understand why everyone is trying to be friendly with Vicki again. Maybe because you all have to be on the show together? She says she’s done. For all her spiritual/outer space thinking, she’s basically a weird mean girl. I’m pretty disappointed since I liked her a lot last season.

Vicki visits Kelly. She tells Vicki to pick out some wine and we see that Kelly has a humongous blinged out corkscrew. And by humongous, I mean it’s like 3 feet tall. Kelly relays what Tamra told her about Nina calling her a prostitute. She texted Shannon about getting a lawyer for a defamation case, but didn’t hear anything back. People love to throw the d-word around, but I think something like that is pretty hard to win. You actually have to prove you were hurt in some way, and not just your feelings.

Shannon calls Tamra about the text. At least Tamra admits she’s the one who told Kelly. She tells Shannon that Kelly thinks she was set up. Shannon is pissed that Tamra is defending Kelly. Tamra says she’s not going to battle about it. In her interview, Tamra says Shannon is victimizing herself again and I totally agree.

Vicki talks about how rude David was to her at the party and wonders if she did something to prompt it. Kelly thinks both Shannon and David are crazy. Vicki says if David is ever in a room with her again, she’s going to tear him up. She says he was a little frightening and he hurt her with what he said. Kelly is disgusted that anyone would say something so vicious about her when she has a daughter who could get wind of it.

Oh, okay, the party is at a Japanese restaurant, which explains the place cards. Granddaughter momma Sarah comes along with Tamra to prepare. This girl looks almost exactly like Lisa Kudrow and every time she’s on the show, I think that’s who she is at first. Tamra has made origami cranes to put near each place card and a lovely origami penis to sit beside Meghan’s. She suggests keeping Shannon as far away from Vicki as possible. Vicki shows up with a peace offering gift for Meghan and in her interview, Meghan says she wishes Vicki had stayed home because Meghan is such an endearing soul.

Shannon and Heather ride over together. In her interview, Kelly says she had to restrain herself from slapping Shannon across the face and I know the feeling. I want to slap her every time she says, “Ow!” Meghan’s actual fertilization or whatever is tomorrow and they discuss the procedure while they all drink like fish. Kelly brings up having a psychic reading and we flash back to the disaster from last year.

In her interview, Meghan is pissed because Kelly is friendly with Vicki. I guess Kelly should only be friends with who Meghan wants to be friends with, since we’re 14 years old. She toasts to Tamra and thanks her for putting the party together. Kelly talks to Meghan about what Nina said. Meghan says she’s not making sense and sounds like a broken Tourettes record. (Um…isn’t that sort of like calling someone retarded? Not too insensitive.) Shannon says that Nina never said Kelly was a prostitute. To her credit, Meghan interjects that she heard it, which I’m sure annoys Shannon even more. Kelly suddenly starts listing her own accomplishments, including a college education, like she’s reading her resume. Shannon asks if Kelly is going to start yelling at her again. Kelly tells her to STFU and calls her something that was bleeped and I wasn’t looking, so I couldn’t lip read either.

Time stops. Kelly says what Nina said about her is defamation of character. Meghan tries to diffuse things, and Kelly tells her wait until she has child and she’ll look at things differently. Tamra gets involved and Kelly calls her a dumb f–k. Heather gets up, saying this is not okay and she’s not doing this. She tells Kelly she’s probably a good person, but her behavior isn’t okay and tells her to leave. When Kelly is like huh? since it’s not Heather’s party, Heather says she’ll leave. Tamra follows her. Heather tells Tamra she never wants to see Kelly again. Heather starts going on about who said what and where and ends up wagging her finger in Vicki’s face. Yes, you read that right. Vicki wasn’t even involved.

Meghan tells Sarah that this isn’t the Kelly she knows and she obviously can’t control herself. Kelly has joined the group outside, telling them she’s only upset with Shannon’s friend and she’s sorry she name called. She goes back in. Tamra tells Shannon that Kelly is in pain and she can see it in Kelly’s eyes, but Shannon says she only sees evil. Oddly enough, Tamra is the only one making sense. She asks Shannon if she has any compassion and Shannon says she’s learned how to avoid getting hurt, but Tamra “isn’t there yet.” So glad to hear that Shannon has arrived and is now perfect. She says it’s not Tamra’s responsibility to take care of other people’s problems. In her interview, Shannon says that Kelly has attacked her three times – three strikes and you’re out. How original.

Heather calls Terry up from the car, bawling like she’s a toddler. Please. She says she doesn’t want anyone to ever see her with Kelly. Back at the restaurant, Kelly does an imitation of Heather for Tamra and Vicki, saying in her interview that Heather managed to make it all about her. By God, she’s right.

Next time, Meghan gets fertilized, Heather lectures Tamra, Kelly and Meghan talk, Shannon and David renew their vows, we see Shannon with no makeup, and I get scared.

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

All I have to say about this season of MasterChef is, if by some fluke, Nathan wins, I’m never watching this show again.

This summer, TV watching has felt somewhat like when I worked in accounting and cash management. Most of the time, it was non-stop work, but there were always those couple of days out of the month where there wasn’t much to do and I’d catch up on personal phone calls. Most of the summer has been that couple of days.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey

I have no idea what’s going on with this show. It was supposed to air at 8 pm and tennis was on. I repeatedly checked throughout the hour and it was still tennis. Or talking about tennis. Now I put it on at 8:50 and the show is already in progress and I don’t have a clue how long it’s been on. I’m also annoyed because this messes up my watching Return to Amish and Mary is hosting Christmas dinner. I could use a little Christmas, since it’s 110 degrees out.

Ok, I was able to catch the beginning the next time they aired it, and Dolores’s dog is having kidney issues. She gives ex-husband Frank a list of house reconstruction demands. She’s hoping to be able to pay him back for the years of his support by opening her own gym. They’ve owned gyms together before, but this time it’s all on her. He tells her to come by later so they can talk over the plans.

Melissa’s kids get ready for a fashion show at NY Fashion Week. In her interview, Melissa talks about how hard it is juggling work with the family. She tells Joe #2 that she invited Teresa to the show. They discuss how the Melissa/Teresa relationship is going. Melissa says she’ll feel like they’re really friends when she can disagree with Teresa without ducking. Joe tells her to just tell Teresa that she’s being a pita when she is because that’s what he does. She wisely responds that he can get away with it being Teresa’s brother.

Boring Jacqueline family stuff, with Siggy co-starring. In her interview, Jacqueline talks about how she’s glad Ashley is living at home. They talk about Melissa’s store opening and the rebuilding of Jacqueline and Teresa’s friendship. Siggy suggests she take baby steps and I think of Bill Murray in What About Bob?

Jacqueline visits Chris at work. He tells her to remember what Teresa and Joe #1 are going through when they get together. He says they might have underlying stress, so just forget the past and blow off anything weird. She says it will be interesting to see if the friendship chemistry is still there. What I don’t get is why everything has to be such a big deal? I have a lot of friends, but only several close friends. It’s not like you have to be conjoined twins with everyone.

Siggy has to take her daughter’s phone away. It’s the second time she’s gotten in trouble with it at school. She gives Sophie a lecture on responsibility and rules and how you need good grades to get a decent job. Here’s where I came in the first time.

Teresa, Melissa, Joe #2 and a passel of children go to a fashion show that some of the kids are involved in. They go out to eat afterward and discuss how we should all support and lift each other up.

Dolores meets Frank at the gym. They discuss getting more members and the class schedule. She says the ew gym isn’t just a hobby, but her independence.

Siggy and her kids sit down for some diner food. The kids talk about the difference between staying with their father and with her. They complain that she treats them like slaves. She says she’s the one who has to take care of the important stuff and their dad gets fun weekends. It sounds like it’s the same as most normal households where the parents live together. They try to talk to her, but she keeps interrupting and then starts to cry when her son tells her she can’t last a minute listening to him.

Joe #1 chases around with Milania (or one of those girls with an “a’ at the end of their name). Teresa tries to hurry him up because they’re going to Jacqueline’s house. Teresa is hesitant about the whole thing and we flash back to the last fight between Jacqueline and Teresa. Milania is now busy goofing around with a Sumo wrestler costume and can’t get up from the floor. Finally, Joe and Teresa make it to the car.

Joe #1 gifts Jacqueline with what looks like an entire case of his homemade wine. Teresa is excited to see Jacqueline’s kids. Joe and Chris talk while Teresa helps in the kitchen. Teresa says she just wants peace and to keep toxic people out of her life. Jacqueline says that Teresa had her own thing going on with both her and Melissa, but Teresa thinks they ganged up on her. Jacqueline talks about Teresa not talking to her about the tabloid articles, and how some of them were true. Teresa says she had no idea about it at the time and is surprised Jacqueline would think she did. I can tell that Jacqueline is gearing up to be an insensitive a-hole.

Teresa says her real friends believed she didn’t know what was going on and there must have been a disconnect between them. In her interview, Teresa says this is the last thing she wanted to rehash. Teresa tells Jacqueline that she’s hurt about her lack of trust. Teresa tells her that her brother told her not to trust Jacqueline. Jacqueline calls Joe #2 and asks him what he said. Joe is like, this was a million years ago and it’s up to you two so-called adults to work things out between you. Jacqueline hangs up and Teresa tells her that she’s not interested in anyone who’s not loyal.

Teresa reminds Jacqueline that she never questioned her when she was going through some legal issues. Jacqueline says hers wasn’t a federal bankruptcy fraud case. Teresa says that was a low blow and it’s time to leave. Teresa recaps what was said to Chris. In his interview, Chris says the girls always ruin things with some emotional nonsense. Joe says the girls always f-things up.

Jacquelie keeps going on about how you can’t compare the two cases they went through. Teresa says she did her time and took responsibility for it. Jacqueline says she doesn’t own it and had blamed her brother. Teresa says now Jacqueline is nuts, let’s go. I actually don’t remember Teresa blaming her brother for anything, but that also might have been something in the tabloids and I don’t read them often. Jacqueline insults her all the way out the door. Joe guzzles his wine before he leaves.

Chris asks what the trigger was. Jacqueline says Teresa was the one who brought up the past first and when she “came back at her,” she couldn’t take it. So much for Chris’s advice in the office. I don’t like Jacqueline. I feel badly that she has the pressure of raising an autistic child, but she’s nasty. I don’t know if she’s bored an likes to stir the pot or what, but she definitely has a ratchet attitude and looks for problems.

Teresa tells Joe #1 about Jacqueline calling Joe #2 and how insulting she was. I’m totally with her, and calling Teresa’s brother was out of line. It’s like she wanted to cause trouble between them. Joe says if you can’t repair what’s broken, sometimes it’s better to walk away. Teresa is like, I just got home, and I don’t need all this. Joe agrees that Jacqueline is a bitch.

Next time, Jacqueline babbles to Melissa, Teresa explains what happened with Jacqueline to Joe #2, and Siggy gets all weepy about family and tradition.

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Nathan takes Claudette to the hospital. How they got back, I have no clue. The real Maxie has returned and is looking for him at the hospital.

Morgan says he has a life-changing surprise for Kiki. Sounds frightening.

Franco meditates, using Elizabeth as a muse, when Scotty shows up bearing breakfast. He tells Franco he has no alibi and was seen coming out of Miss Prescott’s room. Scotty says they’re going to search Franco’s studio and apartment, and they already found the sketches of the dead people in his locker. Scotty asks if they’re going to find out anything that will bury Franco deeper.

Elizabeth asks Griff to pinch hit and check out Claudette, although she doesn’t use Claudette’s name. Maxie finds Nathan. She starts to tell him about the computer hack, but he says Claudette already told him about it. He also tells her about Claudette smashing the wedding photo. He explains about offering to drive Claudette to the airport. After every sentence, Maxie asks if Claudette is gone, and finally Nathan tells her she never made it to the plane.

Claudette waits in the examining room. Does she know Griff is a doctor at GH?

At the coffee shop, Kiki tells Morgan about Franco not coming home last night. He barely acknowledges this and tells her how great it was waking up next to her and how much he missed her. He says he doesn’t want to miss her like that again. She asks what’s up and Lucy interrupts.

Oh good God. Griff almost goes into the examining room – he has his hand on the doorknob – and Valerie says she needs to talk to him.

Maxie asks for an explanation. Nathan tells her about going down a random country road and the car dying. Maxie tells him how she had a farewell-to-Claudette dinner ready. He tells her not only did he leave his phone at home, Claudette’s phone died. He says they spent the night in the car until some joggers came by in the morning and helped them. Once again, Maxie asks if Claudette got a flight out of there, and he says not exactly.

Griff asks Elizabeth what happened with her Franco date. She says it ended up with Franco being hauled off as a person of interest in the latest hospital death.

Lucy says she felt being in cosmetics was shallow and now she’s a realtor, which is a much more honest and thoughtful business. Lucy didn’t say that last part; that’s my sarcasm talking. She says Morgan has chosen a great place for them and all Kiki has to do is co-sign the lease. Kiki is speechless, but not in a good way.

Nathan tells Maxie that Claudette is still in Port Charles. He says he accused her of arranging them getting stranded, she got mad, stomped off and fell, aggravating an old injury. Maxie asks where Claudette is and he says she’s at the hospital.

Claudette wanders around the examining room, obviously not hurt. She takes out her phone and messes with it. Griff’s picture comes up.

Griff asks Elizabeth if she thought Franco’s behavior was weird and she says not any more than usual. She says the date was actually going well until he got arrested. She thought they might have something between them.

Franco says as an artist, he’s always been out there. Scotty says he drew pictures of everyone who was lethally injected and asks why. Franco says who knows why an artist does what he does, and lists various artists who painted the dead. Scotty says none of them were accused of murder. He says the only way he can get Franco out of this is changing the venue to Mozambique. Franco says he’s not the killer and asks if Scotty believes him.

Elizabeth tells Griff about the vial that Franco was found with, and his explanation. Griff asks if Elizabeth thinks Franco could be responsible for the murders.

Lucy shows Kiki pictures of the apartment. I guess the rent is free, since she never mentions how much it costs. Lucy pulls out papers and asks Kiki to sign. Kiki says she needs to talk to Morgan privately. She asks Morgan what’s going on and why he did all this without telling her. He says he wanted to surprise her. Lucy pops back up and tells them to take their time. Her other client, Dillon, is there.

Scotty asks again if the police will find anything. Franco says the police can make something out of nothing and he has a lot of weird objects in his studio. He asks if, as his father and lawyer, Scotty believes him, and Scotty says he’s trying. Franco wants to call Elizabeth.

Elizabeth recounts all the stuff Franco said to the police and how uncooperative he was. Griff says that’s no indication of guilt. She says she needs clarity on the timeline. Her phone rings. It’s Scotty. He asks if she’ll talk to Franco.

Maxie reviews the evening. Nathan says he knows how it seems and she asks if they had any sweet bonding moments. Valerie interrupts, asking Nathan to help with the questioning. Claudette pops out of nowhere, telling Maxie they slept in the front seat, leaning against each other. Yes, now she’s wandering around the hospital.

Morgan asks Dillon if he’s looking for a new apartment. He says he is and asks if Morgan and Kiki are moving in together. Morgan says yes, but Kiki is like, we have to talk about this. Lucy monopolizes Dillon and Kiki takes Morgan somewhere they can talk.

Maxie tells Claudette that she’s transparent and asks how it feels to have her plans fall apart. Claudette asks what plans. Maxie says just because Nathan didn’t leave her in the dust, doesn’t mean he wants to get back together. Maxie asks if she’s ever going to get the hell out of their lives.

Nathan tells Valerie she’s officially off duty and asks if he needs to tell her it’s an order. I think she’s been at the hospital 72 hours straight now. He goes in the room where Elizabeth and Griff are and says he has some questions.

Franco says Elizabeth won’t talk to him. Scotty says he should make Elizabeth off-limits since she has a son with Jason. He says if Franco gets out of this mess, he should stay away from her and asks what happened with Nina. Franco says that Nina told the commissioner she thinks there’s a part of him he can’t control. He says no one believes in him.

Nathan asks if Griff saw anyone suspicious. He says no, that he ran into Elizabeth and they talked for a while. Elizabeth talks about how they discussed Franco. Griff says after that, he took Maxie for coffee to calm her down and then they both went home. A light bulb comes on over Elizabeth’s head, and she says that when they found Miss Prescott, Amy said the monitors were off, but earlier, Amy had checked on her and everything was fine. She says after that, Franco was with her. Griff says she may have just exonerated Franco. Please don’t tell me the killer is Amy. If so, it’s kind of lame.

Morgan is a total idiot, so he doesn’t understand why Kiki is upset, especially since they’ve lived together before. She says um…they didn’t talk about it. She says couples discuss things and consider each other’s feelings, because Morgan needs the simplest social skills explained to him. He asks if she thinks it’s impulsive and the entire viewing audience agrees that it is. Except that one guy. Morgan says go ahead and say it, she thinks he’s off his meds. If she doesn’t, I do.

Dillon tells Lucy that he needs some more time and will be in touch. He runs into Valerie and asks if she’d like coffee. She tells him high octane.

Nathan says Franco will be free to go and thanks them for their time. Griff asks if Elizabeth is starting to believe in Franco.

Scotty tells Franco he’s been released. He says that someone figured out the timeline didn’t match and he could’t have turned off the monitors.

Claudette tells Maxie that Nathan insisted she get checked out and as soon as she does, she’s out of there. She says Nathan talked about his love for Maxie and they got the closure they needed. She adds that she and Nathan did have a real marriage though, and have memories together. Claudette tells her about listening to their wedding song together. Maxie says the secret to winning is to get the opponent to stop playing their game and start playing your own, and that it’s all going to stop. She knows what Claudette wants and she’s not going to get it. She tries to get Claudette to sit in a wheelchair and they argue. Nathan walks up and asks what the what?

Maxie says she was just offering Claudette a ride to the airport. Claudette says she hasn’t been seen by a doctor yet and Nathan says she shouldn’t be walking around. She gets in the chair and he pushes it back to the examining room. She’s all like all, oh this hurts, now. She says she didn’t mean to upset Maxie and Nathan says she never means to do any of the things she does. He leaves her in the room and goes back to Maxie.

Maxie says Claudette set her up and she fell for it. She says Claudette wants them to turn on each other and she’s done playing Claudette’s game

Griff enters the examining room. Surprise!

Nathan asks Maxie if she loves him. He says they should make it official and they should get married today. What? No dress drama? He has no idea what he’s asking.

Scotty sees Lucy who tells him real estate sucks. He tells her about getting Franco released and suggests cocktails at the MetroCourt. She says she ran up a tab there and has to stay away. He suggests martinis at a private place he knows. She’s in. I’m guessing it’s his place.

Morgan says every time he’s hopeful about their future, Kiki thinks he’s off his meds. She says look at the way he’s acting and that she thinks he’s having a manic episode.

Dillon tells Valerie his love woes. She says she’s dating someone unattached now, so there’s hope. He says he’s going out with someone too, but it’s casual. His phone rings and he says maybe it’s not so casual after all. Darby must have changed her Facebook status.

Elizabeth sees Franco. She says he’s glad he’s out and he says him too. He says he noticed there was no call or text from her and he gets it. He’s going to leave her alone and tells her to tell Jake he’s sorry and he’ll miss him.

Tomorrow, Spencer has a visitor, Claudette hugs Griff, and Theo asks Nina if she’s having second thoughts.

Little Women: LA

Christy and family go to an animal sanctuary to see if it’s a good fit for Autumn’s independent study. Christy says she’d rather have her daughter chasing after dingos than dumb boys. She talks to Todd and her mother about Briana and how Briana was upset about Christy talking to her family. In her interview, Christy says they both used to be close to their families, but since this isn’t the case with Briana anymore, she doesn’t know if they can be friends. We flash back to Briana telling Christy she’s dead to her, so I think this decision has already been made. Christy says when Briana falls, she’ll be there. The Jackson Five play in my head.

Jasmine is out shopping with Briana and tells her that a couple months after Briana has her baby, she’s got a play date. Her way of telling Briana she’s pregnant. She wants to throw Briana a baby shower. She says if Briana wants her to, she’ll invite Matt. Briana okays to inviting all the guys, as well as Terra and Tonya. Christy is a no. Briana tells Jasmine about her talk with Christy and how it didn’t end well.

Terra and Elena are going to Tonya’s for girls night. Elena is late and Terra says she doesn’t seem to be taking the preeclampsia seriously. She says pregnancies for little people are risky enough. Tonya tries calling Elena and it goes to voicemail. She leaves a message, but Terra is worried, saying death is one of the side effects of preeclampsia. Preston calls back, saying they’re at the hospital.

Elena’s blood pressure was high and she ended up having the babies early. They SKYPE with Elena. Eleana says the doctors were afraid she was going to have a stroke, but her blood pressure is coming down now. They’ve named the babies Xavier and Cairo. She says one baby needs to have oxygen and both will have to stay at the hospital a while. They still have to do a blood test for dwarfism.

Christy meets with Jasmine at a restaurant. Jasmine doesn’t want her to hear about the baby shower from someone else and just show up. She asks for Christy’s side about the conversation with Briana. Christy claims she told Briana’s family nothing and she didn’t cross the line. Jasmine says she thinks Christy did cross the line with the family. She says now isn’t the time to break up the marriage that Briana has been fighting for. Christy tries to justify everything and makes it all about her. Jasmine says if she wants Briana in her life, she has to slow her roll. In her interview, Christy acts high and mighty, and like she’s the only one who knows Briana.

Jasmine tells her that Briana doesn’t want her involved with the shower at all. Christy says, check, please.

Briana goes shopping for some healthy food with her friend Lisa. She’s been on a low fat high fiber diet and has to say good-by to food that tastes good and hello to kale. They stop for something to drink and talk about the upcoming baby and baby shower. In her interview, Briana says Matt has been a gem ever since she got sick. Lisa is hesitant about Terra and Tonya being invited. She’s afraid she won’t be able to hold her tongue if they pick on Briana or Matt.

Terra and Tonya, along with their guys, go to the arcade and play Skeeball, reminding me of my great aunt who was a Skeeball champ. In her interview, Tonya says it’s been close quarters for her and Kerwin, so she’s glad to get out with another couple. Terra tells Tonya about them being invited to the shower. In her interview, Terra says she’ll probably never forgive Matt for the things he said at the reunion, but she hopes she and Briana can move forward.

Kerwin complains about closet space. Then he complains about Tonya’s ex and business partner still having some inventory she needs. Terra tries to intervene, and Kerwin says he doesn’t know what the problem is. In her interview, Terra says she totally understands Kerwin’s viewpoint.

Jasmine is nervous about the shower. She wants everyone to be on their best behavior, which is probably asking too much. Jasmine asks Tonya if she’s heard from Christy. Tonya says no, and Jasmine says if she shows up, she’ll have to ask her to leave. She tells them that she invited Matt and Tonya says she’s going to act like he’s invisible. Nice.

Matt and Briana arrive. Briana is hoping this is an opportunity to start fresh. Terra tells Briana that Elena had the babies, but everything is fine. Briana feels out of the loop, and feels badly, since Elena and Preston have been so supportive.

Jasmine starts a game. It’s a race to see who can finish the apple juice in a baby bottle first. Tonya wins and Kerwin says they’ll discuss it later. Terra thinks they’re all getting along because Christy isn’t there. Lisa asks Terra and Tonya how they’re feeling about Matt. Tonya says they’re supportive of Briana and Lisa says she was wondering about that. Terra thinks it’s inappropriate that Lisa is asking questions hoping to catch them saying something bad about Matt.

Terra tells Briana that she wants the best for her, regardless of how she might feel about Matt. Briana says she’s not okay with what he did, but she wants to give the marriage a chance. Terra says she doesn’t want to ruin the relationship over something that wasn’t her business to begin with. In her interview, Terra says she never wants the last exchange between them to be negative. They hug it out.

Jasmine says Briana and Matt wanted a special way to tell everyone whether they’re having a little or average-sized baby. She brings out two huge balloons – one for Briana and one for Matt. Whichever one has the confetti is the baby size they’re going to have. Briana gets the confetti, so a little person it is.

Terra takes Tonya aside because she’s being vocal about a little person being a blessing. Tonya says an average-sized child might take advantage of Briana and if Matt leaves the picture, it might be easier for her to deal with a little baby. Terra says she might have an average-sized child, but Tonya says she and Joe are totally different. She says Briana isn’t strong and demanding of respect the way she and Terra are. Terra keeps bringing it back to her own situation and Tonya keeps telling her it’s not the same.

Elena is bummed because the twins are in the hospital. She and Preston are staying at a nearby hotel. They look at a video of the babies. So tiny and cute! Elena starts to cry. Preston tells her the babies are doing good and getting stronger every day. She says the nursery is empty, but he says it won’t be for long. She says she knows the twins have to be taken care of, but she feels helpless. She’s grateful to be a mom, but wishes she could have protected them better than this. She says it’s not easy to look at them in glass boxes.

No preview for this show.

Shahs of Sunset – Reunion Part Two

Andy asks some fan questions. Mike is asked about his new business, since he seems to have a different one every season. They talk about Kitson going out of business after the requested a billion shoes from him. Mike says you can get the shoes through his website now. Some Instagrams of Mike’s are shown. Mike says for the most part, reactions are positive, but he tends to focus on the bad stuff, even if it’s just one comment among hundreds.

Asa says Nordstrom has contacted her about her caftans. Andy asks about diamond water, which has expanded to Dubai. I dunno. I’ve never seen it in Shoprite or Staples. Andy moves to Reza’s stand-up act, saying sometimes when you’re funny situationally, it doesn’t always translate to a comedy club. Everyone is supportive though, and Reza says he’s working on a new project where he’s the Persian Medea.

They talk about Asa’s couples project and Andy says she’s not very forthcoming about her own relationship. She says Jermaine doesn’t want to be on camera and Andy asks if the others resent that she keeps things private when all their stuff is aired. Asa says a lot of people aren’t real about a lot of things and brings up MJ’s real estate “job.” MJ says her real estate transactions were left on the cutting room floor. Asa says it’s not really how she makes her money. Well, how does she make her money? MJ says Asa isn’t open about Jermaine, while she has nothing to hide.

MJ tells Asa to bring it on. Asa alludes to the fact that MJ has something to hide. She tells MJ she’s being dramatic and MJ says she’s being an a-hole. GG suggests Asa will have a longer lasting relationship because she keeps it private. Moving on. Andy asks why GG and Shervin never dated. He asks if they’ve ever hooked up and Shervin says it’s a close relationship, but it’s not like that. Andy asks what the difference is between enabling and being a good friend. Shervin says he might have crossed the line a few times.

Reza says GG has nothing going on in her life and all she does is drink and strategize on how to create drama. MJ says she wakes up early, takes a pill and goes back to sleep. GG says the pill she takes is for her nausea and asks MJ why she’s turning on her. Shervin says GG is in a different place. He says at one time he was afraid she was going to hurt herself or someone else, but he doesn’t feel that way now.

Andy asks why Shervin plays peacemaker. Reza intimates he’s trying to look good for TV. He says he wishes he could be like that. Andy reads a question about Reza turning on a friend every season. Shervin says he’s had legitimate beefs. GG says Reza attempted to go after Shervin and it failed. Shervin says Reza and Asa didn’t want him on the camping trip and there’s a natural resistance to new people in the group.

Reza says he didn’t want Shervin to come camping because he was afraid he’d be a crutch for GG when she needed to hear the facts. Asa says she was always open to new people, while the others weren’t.

They talk about Jessica and Reza says it’s been easier for him to be friends with Mike without her trash talking all of them. We flash back to various tumultuous points in Mike and Reza’s relationship. Mike says Reza is like his brother. Reza says that he never juded what was happening, but he didn’t want Mike to be worried about telling him things. He says Mike doesn’t want to lose his luster. He says Mike’s heart is pure gold and he was trying to fix things before the group found out about them. We flash back to all that.

Mike says MJ pries into situations a little too much. He says he gets that she loves him, but he needs to be comfortable before he tells them something. GG wants to know why he’s okay with Reza sticking his nose into things. Mike says there’s a difference between a man/man bond and a man/woman bond. He says he was angry at first, but they have a different relationship, and girl talk is different than guy talk. MJ says she doesn’t think Mike respects women. He says he comes from a woman who was both mother and father to him, and he couldn’t be more respectful. Asa says Mike just feels closer to men. Mike says he’d stand up for MJ in a heartbeat, but she needs to be more sensitive to what he’s going through.

Andy asks GG about RA. She says it’s been six years since she was diagnosed, but this past year was the worst. We flash back to her treatments and Reza’s disbelief. Reza says if GG would change her lifestyle, she wouldn’t need chemo infusions. Reza says he investigated this for himself. Shervin interjects that he went to treatments with her. He explains that the treatments she gets slow down the progression, but it’s not the same kind of chemo that cancer patients get.

Reza says GG is a bad person who makes up stories because she has nothing going on in her life. Andy brings up the video that GG claimed to have of Reza. She says the guy he was supposedly with told her about it. Reza says that she told him she had the video. She tells him to shut up and he calls her mentally ill. Andy wonders what difference an old video would matter anyway. GG says that there are plenty of things that Reza involves himself in where he shouldn’t. Andy asks why GG threatened Reza, and she says because he was playing dirty, she wanted to play dirty.

Asa says to say something so extreme about a friend is a lot. A fan wonders if GG was hurt at some point and that’s why she hurts others. Andy asks if someone hurt her and she says she’s not here to talk about that. Reza gets snarky and tells her that instead of dealing with her RA, she should deal with her mental illness. Someone should clue Reza in that if he thinks GG is really mentally ill, he’s going about this all wrong. And if he doesn’t, he needs to stop using that as an insult. I also didn’t like that he equated it with being “a bad person.” He really surprised me this season

Andy asks about Reza and the apology letters. Reza says he thought if GG heard everything out loud, she would have an epiphany and really be sorry for the things she’s said and done. GG says he’s never talked to her from his heart and he snarks some more. We flash back to the scene of GG going after Reza after the art show. Reza says if he did that, all hell would break loose, and she says he did it to her emotionally. Andy asks if GG is sorry she brought up the video. She says yes, and that she harbors no resentment against Reza.

Reza gets all emotional, saying that she tried to mess with his life when he had a man he loved and just married. He says it did a lot of damage and affected his job and credibility. He basically says she does nothing and she says she does plenty. Reza walks off crying. GG asks if she needs to cry to show that she’s hurt. Asa says GG is always the one who goes there first, really low and really fast. GG says she’s not the one who made fun of someone’s illness. Andy goes after Reza and MJ, who has followed him. He asks them to come back. He has an idea. That Andy, he’s just full of ideas.

What’s bothering me is that Reza keeps repeating that his credibility was tarnished. From a rumor that came from GG? Really? I have no doubt he’s hurt, but no one believes anything she says unless there’s concrete proof.

Andy says they both have to own what they did to each other. Reza sips out of a juice box (juice bag really) and GG apologizes. Reza says something that’s hard to hear with his blubbering. He says he didn’t want to cry and talk like this. He says the whole thing was humiliating and hurtful to Adam. GG says she feels terrible and loves Reza. Andy says they’re both hurt.

GG says she apologizes 100%. Andy says that GG was hurt by Reza’s doubts about her RA and asks if Reza can apologize too. Reza says he’s definitely sorry and GG accepts that. Andy asks if everyone is willing to think GG is on the right track and Reza says he’s hopeful.

Shervin says he’s down with his peeps; Mike says it will be a different Mike next season; Asa wants to be friends with MJ; MJ says it’s not happening; Andy thanks everyone for a great season. Mike and Reza can’t get out fast enough.

Afterward, GG talks to Reza. She talks about feelings and how much she cares about him. She says she doesn’t care if it’s a percent of a percent, and asks if they can fix it. He says right now, he’s emotionally spent, but it’s a possibility. They hug. She says even if he doesn’t want to be friends anymore, she hopes he sees that she’s grown.

And we out. For this season anyway.

The Real Housewives of NYC

The girls discuss The Countess. Ramona thinks it’s bizarre that she’s engaged to a guy who had just slept with one of her girlfriends five minutes ago. Carole asks Sonja how she feels about the whole thing and she says she’ll deal.

The Countess holds court with the other guests. Dorinda joins them first, getting accolades for introducing The Countess to Tom. The rest of the girls come out. Sonja thinks the crowd is kind of iffy, whatever that means. Everyone introduces themselves. In her interview, Ramona says it’s not football and The Countess doesn’t need to block her from Tom, which she totally is. Carole says she wouldn’t have missed the sideshow of Ramona, Sonja, The Countess and Tom in the same room.

Sonja gets her mojo up and says hello to Tom. In her interview, The Countess says she’s secure in her relationship and that Sonja and Tom are friends, as they all are. That’s why she beats a path over to where they’re talking. In her interview, Sonja is surprised that Tom is so distant. I’m not.

Ramona tells another guest how she and Tom met, and says they went out four or five times. Tom says they went to dinner once. She wonders why he’s making stuff up and in her interview, says that’s no way to start an engagement. Sonja flirts with some old guy. She wonders if he has less in his bank account than she does. Tom confuses us all by flirting with Ramona, telling her she smells like grapefruit. I actually read that a grapefruit scent makes a person seem younger. I’m not making that up.

It’s time to do shots, which this group should never do. Ramona claims she doesn’t need a man to dance and demonstrates this theory. In her interview, Carole says Ramona and Tom have an easy-going relationship, but he should be telling The Countess she smells good, not Ramona. Sonja tells The Countess that she and Tom look great together and The Countess rubs it in her face that they’re getting married, like we didn’t know.

A cake that looks like it’s from Costco is presented. Dorinda attempts to make a toast, but she’s pretty drunk, so it barely makes sense.

In the morning, Jules calls the kids, who are at their grandparents’ house. She finds out that Michael isn’t there and she is not thrilled. She calls Michael who’s in New York. He says where else would he be and she suggests with his kids. He says he’s going there later and she says they were asking where he was.

Dorinda wakes Carol, saying she can sleep when she’s dead. In her interview, Dorinda says she’s a morning person, but I think morning people get up earlier than 10 am. Carole tells Dorinda about meeting Tom when Ramona was dating him. She wonders why he’s lying about how many times they went out. Dorinda calls Ramona in to get to the bottom of things.

Ramona tells them about her and Tom’s mini dating history and talks about him drawing a heart with their initials on her hand. Because we’re in middle school. The Countess interrupts, telling them when breakfast will be ready. When she’s gone, Ramona finishes her story, saying after dinner, she went back to his apartment to play backgammon. Carole is like, yeah, right, but Ramona says there wasn’t really any chemistry.

Ramona tells Sonja she can’t imagine how she must feel, since Ramona only dated Tom, but Sonja slept with him. Sonja says she’s happy for them, but sad at the same time. She says she feels badly about The Countess gloating.

Dorinda says something to The Countess about the girls discussing Tom. The Countess says she’s not going to have it. For whatever reason, she focuses on Ramona, getting all pissed off.

Ramona asks Sonja if Tom ever said good-by to her. The Countess bursts in and tells Ramona she’s inappropriate and if she doesn’t shut her mouth, she’s going to throw her over the side of the boat. She says Ramona is making up stories. Ramona says she never talks to the press about who she dates and The Countess is the one who brought it up. Sonja decides to stay out of it.

Carole joins Dorinda and Jules for breakfast. In her interview, Jules says Dorinda should keep quiet.

Ramona tells The Countess she’s perpetuating it because she’s the one who was quoted. She says she doesn’t need her name in the press and The Countess is the one who should shut up. She goes to the breakfast table and tells Dorinda she’s a sh*t stirrer. Yep.

Ramona says The Countess is the one who talked to the press and the press said she was the one sleeping with Tom. She says Sonja never had closure with him and she’s pretty upset. Dorinda says it’s stupid to cry over that. She says she doesn’t know when friends with benefits turned into a relationship. The Countess continues to complain to Sonja.

The girls on deck see a boat of shirtless military guys and go out of their collective minds. The Countess calls Ramona over like she’s a maid. She says she’s sorry she lost her temper, but Ramona needs to apologize for speaking Tom’s name. She tells her to stop talking about Tom. Ramona says there’s nothing left to say. Jules says she hopes when they get to Miami, they can have a good time.

In her interview, Sonja says The Countess just wants to laugh her and Tom off her. Once again The Countess rubs Sonja’s nose in the marriage thing.

On to Miami. Bethenny is already there. In her interview, Bethenny says the day before the engagement party, she got a series of texts that could cancel the engagement. She calls Carole, who’s in the car with Ramona and Jules. Bethenny says she’s glad she wasn’t there. She asks if Tom seemed like he was into The Countess. Bethenny says she has a lot of information that she doesn’t know what to do with, and Carole says it sounds ominous.

The girls arrive at the hotel. There are five rooms for six of them and Dorinda says every vacation starts off with room panic. The Countess sees Bethenny before the others do. Bethenny asks if she’s 100% sure about Tom and she says absolutely. In her interview, Bethenny says The Countess is about to sing Somewhere Over the Rainbow and in the meantime, she has a phone full of hot texts.

Bethenny tries to weasel in some questions, asking if The Countess and Tom have talked about their pasts and if they’re monogomous. The Countess says if they weren’t monogamous, they wouldn’t be getting married. Bethenny asks how she knows she can trust Tom, and The Countess says they’re soulmates. In her interview, The Countess thinks Bethenny is being cagey, not mean, but asking odd questions.

The girls gather for some food. The Countess tells Jules that she thinks Bethenny is being weird because she’s gone through a hellacious divorce.

Ramona and Carole talk to Bethenny. Carole tells her The Countess seemed frazzled, and Bethenny tells her that The Countess had an open marriage before and she asked what the deal is with Tom.

Bethenny says she’s heard that Tom isn’t really wealthy, but only dates wealthy women. She also says he hasn’t been faithful. Ramona tells her not to say that and then asks who it is. Bethenny says Tom was making out with a girl in a bar two days before the party. Ramona wants to pretend it’s not true, but Bethenny says it’s a fact. She says it was at the Regency Hotel and Ramona says he goes there all the time. Bethenny says she shouldn’t be telling them this before saying something to The Countess.

Bethenny asks for a vote as to whether or not she should say something.

… to be continued

Next time, Sonja says she slept with Tom around Thanksgiving, The Countess ponders Bethenny’s questions, Sonja is pissed at Tom, and Bethenny gives The Countess a reality check.

August 1, 2016 – A Missed GH Boat in Greece & Party Aftermath in the OC

Standard

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

The vial that Franco was carrying has tested positive for the drug that killed the other patients and the only prints on it are his. Amy II makes a bunch of accusatory noises and Jordan tells her she’s not a police officer. Now I’m wondering if it’s Amy who’s killing off the patients. Although she doesn’t need drugs. She can talk them to death.

Elizabeth asks Franco what he wants with her because she’s really, really stupid, and doesn’t understand how she ended up with children.

Nina is at The Floating Rib, going over the stories that people have sent her in regard to the organ donation story.

Carly, who is babysitting Roxie, tries to get her to eat something. Finn comes in saying hello to “his best girl.” Carly thanks him, but he picks up Roxie and kisses her. I gotta say, it’s really cute. Every time he kisses her nose, her little feet go up in the air. I’ve always wanted a lizard.

The group in Greece has landed on some island. Doc is sleeping and Sam suggests someone stay awake at all times in case a boat comes by. Oh look! It’s the Ionian Princess! Not really, but that would be funny.

Sam wants to go back to the crash site to find Jason. She says if he’s hurt, he’s not going to make it through the night. I guess I missed something here. Like the part where everyone left the plane and he didn’t make it.

Valerie talks about Franco leaving the statue for the patient. Curtis wonders if the patient didn’t bring it back to her room herself. Amy says Franco was acting “shifty” and “ominous.” She makes up some nonsense and Curtis questions her, but Jordan says she’ll handle it. Curtis and Valerie make a rain check for their date.

Franco says he hasn’t really thought about what he wants long term, but right now he was thinking dinner. Elizabeth says the studio is weird (yeah, it’s an art studio) and he says he brought her there hoping she’d get to know him better. He suggests she open and pour the champagne. He tells her she can try to call the cops while he looks for glasses, but the reception is lousy.

Carly says she wasn’t expecting Finn back so soon. She gets a call. It’s some kind of emergency, and she has to go. Finn tells Roxie he’s sorry he didn’t bring anything back for her. Ingo Rademacher (i.e. Jax) is behind him and says, from the looks of things, it’s true love. When did he show up? While checking the spelling of his name, I found out he was born in West Germany, which surprised me.

Finn tells Jax that Roxie is his service animal. He says Jax seems pretty familiar with bearded dragons and Jax explains he used to see them all the time when he lived in Australia. Carly comes back and asks Jax (say that three times real fast) what he’s doing there.

Amy tells Jordan and Valerie that Franco and Elizabeth are on a date. Jordan wonders where they might have gone, but Amy says he doesn’t share information with too many people. Jordan expresses concern about Franco’s temperament. Andre comes out of the elevator and Jordan says she could use his help.

Elizabeth tries to text her babysitter and finally gets it to go through. She pours the champagne and asks Franco what all the stuff is around the studio. He says some of it is for inspiration and some he just can’t get rid of. He talks about his work being dark and angry and how it bothers some people.

Curtis joins Nina at the bar. She tells him that Carly told her to stop pursuing the organ donor story, but she thinks Carly is being pressured, so she’s ignoring that.

Sam is afraid Jason might be disoriented. She thinks he got off the plane before it exploded. Missed that too. Ava says they owe Jason their lives because he gave them time to get away, but there’s no way he could still be alive. That’s right, because even after Carrrlos dying and coming back a dozen times, this could not even be a possibility.

Carly introduces Jax to Finn. Finn says Jocelyn shares Jax’s appreciation for bearded dragons. Carly asks if Jocelyn knows he’s there. Jax says he texted her, but she seems to be busy, so he was going to surprise her.

Curtis asks Nina what she wants him to do. She says nothing illegal, but she could use his investigative talents. He says as long as she’s paying. He asks why she’s at the bar alone. She says her life partner wan’t in it for life.

Franco tells Elizabeth how he thought he’d lost his motivation to paint when the tumor was removed, but he suddenly has new feelings he wants to express. She says he never lost his talent and it sounds like he’s getting his confidence back. He wants to show her a painting that’s motivated by feelings other than anger. He says she hopes she doesn’t find it disturbing.

Jordan brings Andre up to speed. Andre says he did a psyche evaluation when Franco was reinstated. He tells her that Franco seemed to have an unnatural fixation with death. Jordan has Valerie look around his locker and asks Andre to come with her to the art therapy room. She asks if he minds. He says it’s strictly professional and they’ll leave their personal stuff out of it.

Sam says she gave up on Jason once and she’s not doing it again. Ava suggests she wait until morning and Dante seconds that. She says she’s going now and collapses. I guess she’s waiting.

Valerie tells Jordan nothing is out of the ordinary. Jordan says they have to track down Franco immediately. He’s been drawing death masks of the patients who were killed. Andre says that doesn’t mean it has anything to do with the murders. He says Franco is used to expressing himself with his art and could be using it as a coping mechanism. Jordan says he wouldn’t have known about the last victim and they have to track him down.

Elizabeth asks why Franco is nervous, since he’s shown his art all over the world. He says the painting is of her. He shows her and she says it’s beautiful.

Nina says Franco is one of the few people in her life who understood her, but she thinks she outgrew him. She changed and she didn’t think he could follow. She says she’s proud of what she’s accomplished and likes herself, but Franco couldn’t deal with that. She thinks there’s a part of him that he can’t control or trust. What one has to do with the other, I’m not sure. Jordan and Valerie overhear.

Carly tells Finn about dropping the search. He asks why the change of heart. Jax says Jocelyn asked them to and they’re honoring her wishes. Finn says it’s a mistake.

Sam is like, I’m fine now, let’s get going. The group hears something and thinks it’s a boat. Has everyone forgotten about Valentin and that he could still be hunting for them?

Finn says he wants to make sure they make an informed decision. Jax says they appreciate it, but he and Carly will take it from there. Finn leaves to take Roxie for a walk, and Carly chastises Jax for jumping the gun telling Finn before she had a chance to. He asks if she’s really changed her mind.

Jordan asks Nina if they’ve seen Franco, but she says no. Valerie interrupts, saying she thinks Franco brought Elizabeth to his art studio. Nina says Franco didn’t waste any time. Curtis tells Nina that Franco is an idiot, and that she shouldn’t be drowning her sorrows.

Um…the painting is nice, but it resembles something I’ve seen at the 4-H exhibition. Elizabeth says it reminds her of a Renoir because she knows less than nothing about art. Franco talks about studying the masters. He says the impressionists had the right idea about finding beauty in an imperfect world. Elizabeth says she thinks they painted things accurately for the first time and that she once dreamed of being an artist, but that’s not who she sees herself as anymore. Franco says someone as beautiful as she is shouldn’t have a problem creating beautiful things. He asks if she thinks he’s being stalkerish by painting her without her knowledge. She says no. He asks if he could do another painting. She says only if she can paint him.

Amy acts stupid about Finn’s lizard, like it might attack her. If only. He asks if she can help him in reestablishing his lab.

The boat passes. At least Lulu suggests it might have been Valentin. The others wander off and she tells Dante that she found something on Cassadine Island that upset her. She shows him the bracelet and tells him she found it on a skeleton in the tunnels.

Amy tells Finn he has to talk to Obrecht. He guesses he’ll have to bite the bullet and decides to track her down tomorrow. Amy asks what he’s researching. He says since she’s so good at keeping a secret and it’s not for the public, she’ll have to wait.

Curtis sees Andre. He tells him not to be too hard on Jordan. He says that she’s been dealing with TJ on her own for a while, so don’t expect her to be open. Andre is totally rude and says he didn’t ask for relationship advice.

Elizabeth is impressed with Franco’s cooking. They smile at each other and there’s a knock at the door. It’s Valerie and Jordan. Jordan says they have some questions.

Nina goes back to her room. She drops her key before she can get the door open and hears someone in the hallway.

Dante tells Lulu not to jump to conclusions. Laura says she thinks the antibiotics are working. Sam wants to get moving again. Dante says she could be walking into a trap. Sam hears something, yells, “Jason, is that you?” and goes running into the woods. Dante runs after her and I laugh because it looks like he’s trying to tackle her. Seriously here. Why would Sam act so reckless?

Tomorrow, Jax tells Carly to let the organ donor search go, Franco tells Jordan to get a search warrant, and Spencer calls his father.

The Real Housewives of the OC

When last we left, Shannon’s 70s party ended up a huge success total disaster. I’m quite sure we’ll be feeling the aftermath for the rest of the season.

Meghan and her mother are at the doctor for the embryo transfer preparation. I’m not sure what’s up with Meghan’s hair. Either she has those awful highlights that make it look like you have grey hair or she’s getting grey hair. Meghan is annoyed that Jimmy isn’t there, but they pump her full of drugs and she doesn’t care anymore. In her interview, Meghan tells us to say yes to drugs. I think Meghan’s brain is probably that same fried egg with or without them. It turns out that the doctor’s ex-wife was one of the twits that started the whole debacle at Shannon’s party. Meghan tells him that his ex has a colorful mouth.

Vicki and Tamra chat, and Vicki thinks they might be able to rekindle their friendship. Tamra is still trying to process what happened at the party. Vicki says she had nothing against David, but she does now.

Shannon is upset that Vicki said she was manufacturing drama. Well, who invited those two-bit ho’s who ganged up on Kelly? We flash back to Shannon, hysterical and barely making sense, trying to get David to stand up for her. She’s not happy about what Kelly said, but she’s also not happy with the way she reacted.

Kelly says it was 100% an ambush. She explains that she was engaged to someone else while she was legally separated from her husband, which explains Shannon’s babbling about her having an affair. I totally understand this, having been in nearly the same position myself. Apparently both of us decided that the evil we knew was better than the one we didn’t.

Meghan has been invited to speak to a group of colon cancer survivors on Capital Hill. She’s advocating for a colon cancer screening bill and Heather is going with her. She wants LeAnn to look down and be proud of her. It’s strange how Meghan seems to have become closer to LeAnn after LeAnn’s death. She and Heather discuss having kids. Meghan toys with the idea of twins, and Heather tells her that twins are pretty difficult. In her interview, Heather says it makes you want to kill yourself.

Shannon goes to see Dr. Moon. She says he keeps the good energy flowing. Maybe she should have checked in with him before that party. He sticks a bunch of plastic cups on her and she tells us that “cupping” brings the toxins out of the body. She hollers “ow!” every time he sticks another one on and it grates on my nerves. Looking at her with these cups on her back sucking her flesh reminds me of the leech treatment scene in The Devils. Dr. Moon pokes holes in her skin to help release the toxins. Have I used the word “insane” yet?

Heather and Meghan go to dinner. Meghan tells Heather that she’s pissed about Jim not being around. She says on the two days he had off, he dared to play golf. She says he’s not going to be there for the embryo transfer, although her mother will be. Nice of her to be grateful that she has the latter. In her interview, Heather says she understands it from both sides, since Jimmy already has four kids and he’s not the enthusiastic type. That’s an understatement. She complains about Terry working all the time and Meghan frets about feeling like a single mom. She’s hoping Jimmy is a more involved father than pending father.

Kelly says the worst problem in their marriage is that Michael doesn’t listen to her or take her advice. I’m identifying all over the place tonight. Kelly’s brother and mother are having dinner with them, and she tells them about Shannon’s party. Her mother is all diplomatic, saying she should give Shannon a chance and maybe she’s not “that way.” Michael wants her to figure out how to make things work and mom says some nonsense about forgiveness. All that’s fine, but how about the issue of Shannon setting Kelly up?

Tamra is meeting with her trainer, Mia, who is also her spiritual adviser. Tamra is training to be a bikini competitor. Oh, it’s that kind of competition. I was thinking more along the lines of Corey Everson. As though she read my mind, Tamra tells us that Mia was once a Miss Olympia. Mia explains how Tamra has to present herself. They video chat with the costume designer and work on Tamra’s walk. Tamra seems to have trouble with stripper heels, which confuses me, since I thought all of these women wear them on a daily basis. Mia tells her she’ll need to flirt with the judges. After some uncoordinated first attempts, Tamra finally gets the walk down.

It’s time for Meghan’s speech. At first, she has difficulty not stammering and doing a lot of um’s and uh’s. Once she actually gets into talking about the disease, she gets better. In her interview, Meghan says she’s grown a lot in the last year and she’s proud of herself for taking on all the responsibilities that she has. She now never says LeAnn’s name without prefacing it with “my friend.” I guess what’s bugging me about this is, she makes it sound like she was friends with LeAnn all along, when she wouldn’t have even known LeAnn if she hadn’t married LeAnn’s ex-husband.

I just Googled this and Jim had a wife in between them, who Megan is definitely not friends with. And it sounds like there’s a reason.

Briana is redecorating the house Vicki got for her in the OC. In her interview, Vicki says the best thing about breaking up with Brooks is that she has her daughter back 100%. We flash back to a few unsavory scenes with Briana cursing out Brooks. Briana’s kids are at the house, tripping over things, when neither one of them should be anywhere near a plug, power tool or anything that has to do with construction. Briana is nervous about how much everything is going to cost.

Tamra drops by. They’re in the same neighborhood, although Briana is “outside the gate.” That reminds me of the scene in Priscilla, Queen of the Desert when Bernadette wonders if the gate is there to keep outsiders from getting in or to keep them from getting out. In her interview, Briana says she needs more medical tests, but right now her leg problem is stable. Troy locks himself inside the car. I would never, ever babysit these children.

Kelly calls Shannon. Ew. She asks if Shannon would meet her for coffee. In her interview, Kelly says that she believes Shannon set her up, but after listening to her mom, she thinks they should talk. She says if Shannon says she didn’t do it, she’ll try to believe her.

Tamra calls Heather in Washington. Heather says they’re working hard, but Tamra says she can hear the champagne. Damn if she isn’t right. Meghan tells Tamra she had a moment with Vicki at the party when she told Vicki about the IVF and showed her bloated belly. We flash back and there’s an awkward hug. It’s Megan and Tamra’s last chance to drink for a while, so they want to get together with the girls, but Heather is hesitant about Shannon and Kelly being in the same room. Tamra tells her that they’re getting together on their own.

Meghan says that when she was at the party, she saw Shannon taking the two bullies aside to talk and she smelled a set-up. She says she likes Shannon, but she saw what she saw. For a moment, I like Meghan. I’m like that too. Even if you’re my best friend, if you’re wrong, you’re wrong.

Kelly and Shannon meet. Kelly doesn’t beat around the bush and asks her how long she’s known Jacquie and if she’s a good friend. Shannon wonders why she’s being put on the witness stand. In her interview, she says she thought it was going to be an apology, not a cross-examination. Kelly doesn’t buy that Shannon wasn’t aware that Kelly knew Jacquie, even though she says she didn’t. Shannon says she’d never have a party to stir things up. She says that Kelly insulted a third of her guests.

Shannon brings up Kelly saying David looked like a pedophile. This is kind of stupid, since she was referring to his costume, she was right and it was funny. Shannon says something about Kelly calling her ugly and then says Kelly looked like an Indian. Kelly asks if this means Shannon thinks Indians (I assume she means Native American) are ugly. Sounds that way to me. It doesn’t take long for it to escalate to Shannon putting her finger in Kelly’s face and talking about how Kelly said no wonder David had an affair. Even though I don’t believe Shannon either, that was a pretty low blow.

Commercial break. I see an ad for the movie Sausage Party and wonder why this film even exists.

Shannon is like, how dare you? and Kelly says Shannon accused her of having an affair. Shannon truthfully points out that she said it after Kelly said what she did about David’s affair. Kelly says she really thought Shannon set her up, but if she says she didn’t, she’ll believe her and she’s sorry. She says apologizing is hard for her and Shannon tells her not to then. Kelly says she just wants them to get along. Shannon insists she’s not lying and Kelly says she just wants to move on. In her interview, Shannon says she’s going to approach Kelly with caution from now on.

Next time, Vicki wants Ryan to work for her, Shannon gets a text from Kelly, Meghan wants to have a girls night, and Heather goes ballistic.

July 31, 2016 – Shah Art Doesn’t Imitate Life & NJ Teresa Steps Out

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

The Shahs of Sunset

When we last left the Shahs, we were at MJ’s renewal party and Tommy just asked her to marry him. The doves are released and kissing happens. Vida starts complaining and tells MJ to get over there like she’s a dog. Asa tries to calm Vida down and she just gets louder, insisting that MJ is in love with the wrong person. In her interview, Asa says in the Persian culture, you respect your elders, but she’s having a hard time with Vida acting the fool.

Tommy gets emotional and tries to talk to Vida. She suggests they look at the ring with a magnifying glass. MJ is disgusted, embarrassed, disappointed and hurt. Reza is starting to freak, saying he can’t be in the cemetery anymore. Everyone gets in their cars, leaving the scene of what Vida thinks is a crime.

MJ can’t believe Vida tried to bulldoze one of the happiest moments of her life. The next morning, she’s loving Tommy and her ring. She says if Vida doesn’t get with the program, she’s cutting her out.

GG is getting her hair done. Asa wants to take some photos of GG taking a selfie. Her project is called Together and she wanted pictures of everyone, regardless of whether they’re coupling or not. Everyone is coming to the opening or revealing or whatever it is. GG says she’s tired of feeling like she needs to be on guard with Reza, but Asa is like, who cares?

Reza has decided on a property in Palm Springs. He hasn’t seen it yet, so he and Adam are driving over. Adam wants to replace some things, but Reza says it’s a rental and they’re not doing any work on it. Now that they own properties together, Adam talks about getting their own place and having some kids. Reza says you can’t live the Hart to Hart lifestyle with kids.

Asa’s mom comes to visit her, bearing the OK! magazine that has a piece about Asa’s caftans. They both get super excited when they see the article. Even I get excited. I like Asa. She works hard and deserves some recognition. And caftans are  so much more practical than diamond water. She talks about her family’s blind support and how they all made something life-changing happen.

MJ meets Vida for a snack. They exchange pleasantries. A-hole Vida says Tommy ruined the day for her and MJ points out that it wasn’t her day. She says that she has respect, love and patience for Vida, and it keeps her mouth shut, but Tommy deserves better. No surprise, Vida doesn’t react well. In her interview, MJ says Vida fears that she’ll abandon her for Tommy. Vida insists that Tommy isn’t the right person for her. MJ says sorry, and have fun being alone. Vida makes a pouty face.

Mike and Reza meet for a run in the park. They’re trying to get back in shape after some serious slacking off. Reza has set the time for an hour, but after 15 minutes, Mike is done, and they sit on a bench. Reza talks about how Mike was able to forgive GG. He says he thinks she has a serious mental problem. In his interview, Reza talks about how GG said she had a video of him having sex with someone at the gym. He says she systematically goes through all of them. Mike says he’s sad that GG doesn’t put her energy into something positive.

It’s the day of Asa’s art show. I know it’s an art show now because that’s what it said on the screen. GG is giving herself a snail mask (Korean skincare!) and Shervin calls, since they’re attending together. GG is afraid of losing her sh*t with Reza, but she says she’s going to steer clear of him.

Asa is at the gallery getting herself and the art pieces ready. She’s written something about each picture of her friends and family. Reza shows up first and she reads some of them to him. Reza is annoyed that GG never apologizes for anything she does. He says they’ve been friends for five years and all she does is cause problems and needs to be accountable for her actions. Asa just wants everyone to be able to talk to one another.

Shervin brings Annalise along to the art show. She seems relatively normal, so I’m not sure how she’s going to gel with this group.

Commercial break with important information – the two-part Shahs reunion starts Tuesday, 9 pm.

Asa is impressed with her parents having stayed together for 42 years, and says there have been some dicey moments. There’s a photo of Asa and Jermaine, looking toward the future. I love the one of Mike and his dog, who is a much better partner than Jessica. Mike talks about how he messed up, learned from his mistake, and has no choice but to move on. Reza compares being married to how a stew gets better when it’s been marinating for a few days. Shervin’s photo is with Annalise and he’s happy with how things are moving ahead.

Asa gives a speech about togetherness. She says when you love each other, that’s what’s at the core, and you stick it out no matter what. Asa gets a bouquet of red roses. They’re from GG, apologizing for her past bad behavior. Is she doing a 12-step program?

Mike is next. Another bouquet with an apology. And one for MJ and Shervin. I’m impressed with the apologies because they’re very specific. Whenever someone apologizes, I always like to know exactly what they’re apologizing for. Reza gets one too. GG includes her lie about the video. Asa says GG must have had a life-shifting epiphany.

Reza says he has a confession. He wrote all the letters. In her interview, GG says she’s sad, embarrassed and disgusted. He says all of them deserve an apology from GG. My mouth is hanging open. He says it comes from a place of compassion and hope, and that he knows she wishes that she could do something like that. He’s hoping the next one comes directly from her.

It’s not well-received. MJ says something like this has to come from her. GG says that some of the issues in the “apologies” are things she’s gotten over with that person and now they’re being dredged back up again. Asa says that Reza told the truth and GG should make it hers. Asa is a decent person, which is why she’s not absolutely livid that Reza chose her art show as a venue to make his point. I get where he’s coming from, and it’a a unique way to try and make someone else’s light bulb come one, but how unbelievably rude to take the spotlight away from Asa. I probably don’t have to tell you that I wouldn’t be so decent to let that pass.

Asa makes a toast. She says there are a lot of feelings going on. (She’s diplomatic too!) She talks about her parents telling her you need love, patience and forgiveness to make a relationship wotk. MJ says it’s never going to be the same. Reza asks if GG has a video of him and I don’t catch what she says, but he says he can’t have anything to do with her anymore and tells her to grow up. In her interview, she claims that someone told her there’s a video out there. She tells Reza she’s sorry he’s so distressed. Asa keeps trying to intervene, but Reza and GG keep talking over her. GG says she doesn’t know what to be – she wants to rage, but she wants to rise above.

Rage wins. Reza and Adam are leaving, and she takes off her shoes. We all know what that means. I just feel badly for Asa, once again being embarrassed in front of friends and family.

GG takes off after Reza and blindsides Adam. There’s all kinds of screaming and yelling and Shervin holds her back. Her sister tells GG to put he shoes on and get in the car. Reza decides to go home. He says he doesn’t wish GG harm and hopes she finds her way, but it doesn’t include him.

Asa says none of them is perfect, but it’s what happens afterward that’s important. Each of them talks about the group and how they’ve always stayed together. Reza talks about it being family and it’s the same as being in a real family, but he’s done with GG. GG says they love hard and hate hard, but she’s hanging on to hope for tomorrow.

Everyone leaves. The camera pans out to the title of the art show: Together 17,903 Days

No preview of the reunion.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey

The grand opening of Melissa’s boutique, Envy, is this week. Husband Joe is taking care of the kids and it’s not going well, especially since he’s trying to work at the same time.

Teresa talks about the rumors regarding her and Joe #1 divorcing. She says she has old school values and wonders who started it. Her lawyer says the final restitution check has been paid, which is a big relief.

Siggy meets Jacqueline for lunch. They talk about their kids. Siggy says every day there’s a fight over the phone with her teenage daughter. She says it’s easier to get along with her ex-husband. They talk about the party and Siggy says she really enjoyed meeting Teresa. She feels badly about all the articles coming out. Jacqueline says the tabloids are a touchy subject with Teresa.

Joe #2 is on a work phone call while the kids go crazy. Geez, at their age, I went to work with my father and wouldn’t have even thought of behaving like that.

Teresa is doing an audio version of her book, Turning the Tables. They begin with the introduction and she immediately starts to cry. It’s hard for her to talk about leaving the kids and we flash back. She says at the rate she’s going, she’s never going to get through the book. After that, it’s on to a publishing meeting. Teresa talks about how she and Joe #1 have grown closer through the trials and tribulations. The title of the book is discussed and Teresa says people attribute it to her flipping a table (flash back!), but it’s really about how her life flipped around. She’s shown the cover of the book.

Joe #2 calls Melissa, saying she has to come home immediately because he has a work problem. She says she can’t and he’d promised her that he’d take care of the kids today. He says the queen can have her job back.

Dolores’s daughter, Gabby, discusses the future with her while she bathes her guinea pig. Dolores talks about the difference when she was growing up and how she’s always stressed the importance of an education. Somehow the guinea pig jumps the tub and this is the highlight of the scene.

Chris is developing some popcorn and is hoping the new recipe works. (I’m not kidding. He’s going into the popcorn business) He says trying to sell the house has been a bust, but he thinks this could be the answer to their financial problems. Jacqueline says she didn’t marry him for his money, since he didn’t have any, and he’s been her rock.

Joe #2 says he’s happy for Melissa’s business acumen, but he just ate peanuts for dinner. Don’t they have a microwave? And what did the kids eat?

Stuff with Siggy and her kids. Zzzzzzzzzzzzz……….

Chris has a popcorn meeting. He says having a son with autism has made finding snacks a challenge, and this has no gluten, GMOs or even popcorn in it. It’s made entirely of purified air. He says there’s a trade show coming up and he needs a revision of the logo/box/whatever in a few days. He wants something more cheerful than what the team has come up with.

Teresa is doing a rock climbing thing with her daughter, Gabriella, so they can have bonding time. Siggy and her daughter, Sophie, join them. While the girls do some climbing, Siggy talks to Teresa, asking her where the tabloids get such crap. In her interview, Teresa says maybe years ago she would have been offended with the same questions. Siggy says what brings her and Teresa together is a lack of control of what comes out of their mouths. Dolores joins them and they talk about going to Melissa’s opening.

Melissa is getting her make-up done. She says she wants to set a good example for her daughter in that you can be a successful businesswoman as well as a wife and mother. Better not ask Joe #2 about that. She talks about her father dying in a car accident when she was 17, and how she misses him whenever there’s a milestone in her life. In the car, Joe tells her that her father is right next to her and she doesn’t even know it

Siggy calls Jacqueline, who goes into shock about Teresa’s non-reaction to Siggy’s tabloid question.

Melissa and Joe #2 have press pictures taken before the opening. A mini red carpet. The champagne flows. It’s Teresa’s first event where there is going to be press, and Gia is accompanying her. Joe #2 talks to Chris about Joe #1. Jacqueline’s daughter, Ashley, thinks the new Teresa is just a publicity stunt and it’s just a matter of time before she goes back to her shallow, nasty self. Ashley, whose finest moment on this show was pulling Danielle Staub‘s hair out of her head.

Teresa sees Kathy. We flash back to Kathy calling her crazy, and Teresa says she’s learned to be emotionally detached. Chris asks Teresa where Joe #1 is, and she tells him it’s Joe’s grandmother’s birthday. Sure it is. Melissa thanks everyone for their support with a special thanks to Joe #2 and her partners. She tells them to shop and have fun. I actually like her merchandise. It’s sophisticated, but youthful.

Chris and Teresa chit-chat. Joe #2 tells Melissa that even though he was giving her a hard time, she’s still the best wife ever. Melissa says once he starts seeing sales, he’ll have a whole different perspective. There’s a fashion show and Joe #2 struts the runway in a snappy red number.

Teresa clips Joe #1’s toenails and I gag. Afterward, they do yoga. Well, Teresa tries to do yoga while Joe acts like it’s sexy time. She kisses him and tells him he eats too much garlic. He says she should be glad because that means he’s not kissing anyone else. Oh, I see. Garlic is reserved for the wife. She tells him if he cheats on her, it’s a deal breaker. Joe has seemed like he’s on Valium since before Teresa went to prison, and reacts with a placid look.

Chris calls. He tells Joe he was hoping to see him at Melissa’s opening and invites them for dinner on Friday. We flash back to the last dinner there, which didn’t go well. Joe #1 says that you forgive, but you don’t forget.

Next time, a children’s fashion show, Siggy wants to redecorate, dinner at Jacqueline’s house, and Teresa and Jacqueline argue.

July 27, 2016 – GH on Cassadine Island, Little Women in LA & Wives in NYC

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Nathan and Maxie bask in the afterglow, although for a second I thought he was with another woman, since I’m not used to brunette nuMaxie.

Claudette hasn’t found out about the coffee shop yet, so she sits at the MetroCourt. She pulls the framed wedding photo of her and Nathan out of her purse. I guess she carries it with her instead of one of those pesky wallet photos. Why fool around?

Diane and Alexis meet at the coffee shop. Diane asks what the face is all about and tells her it’s no time to have cold feet. Alexis doesn’t think she can face the arraignment. Diane tells her to put her big girl pants on, because if she shows up with her divorce attorney, it will send a strong message to the bar. She asks if Alexis still has feelings for Julian and Alexis shows her the divorce papers, telling her that she already delivered a set to Julian.

Scotty tells Julian bail doesn’t look good. Julian was hoping Ava would be back by now and helping him out. Sonny shows up. He says payback is just getting started. For the first time since he joined the show, I’m on Team Sonny.

The group wanders around Cassadine Island. Doc has to stop and Ava says they should keep moving. Doc says to go on without him. Puh-leeze. Shouldn’t they have phone reception by now? I distinctly remember Valentin using a cell phone in the tunnels yesterday.

Laura says no one is going anywhere. She asks Dante if he had any medical training. Doc is like, excuse me, I’m an actual doctor, and asks for a mirror so he can see the wound. He says it’s not good and the bullet needs to come out now. I’ve never been a doctor, or played one on TV, but it doesn’t look that bad to me. And it’s pretty far away from any vital organs.

Alexis says she doesn’t think she can do it. Diane says she won’t be alone, but I’m questioning the outfit Diane is going to wear to court, a colorful hoodie and denim skirt. Is the dress code more lax at an arraignment?

Sonny says he’s a concerned citizen wanting to see justice served and laughs about Julian’s recovery. He says he’s been seeing a lot of Anna lately, emphasizing her connection to Duke, and the best thing would be for Julian to rot in prison. He says Julian will have to watch himself for the rest of his life since he has so many enemies. Paul comes out and says there won’t be any press, but private citizens are okay. Sonny wonders if Julian realizes how badly he screwed himself.

Dante finds a knife and Lulu produces some ancient first aid kit or sewing kit or something. Dante says he’ll take out the bullet, but the others need to hold Doc down. Doc starts yelling before Dante even does anything. Doc says Dante will have to hold him down and have Laura take out the bullet. He tells her to put the booze she’s holding on the wound. Um…maybe he should drink some? Doc gives Laura instructions. Oddly enough, Doc barely makes a peep as Laura cuts into him.

Nina calls Claudette. She tells Claudette she needs to come in because the next issue of Crimson has to be perfect due to Julian’s mess.

Maxie – who is wearing a black knit dress with white birds on it that I’m in love with – goes on to Nathan about Claudette. She says she should have listened to Nathan and Nina and gotten rid of her when she found out Claudette used a fake name when she applied for the job. Nathan brings up the shooting, but Maxie says she doesn’t think Claudette wants him to go to jail. She thinks Claudette wants to stop their wedding and says Claudette needs to go. She says they’ll have to fire her for performance problems and shows Nathan a flash drive Spinelli sent to her. She says they’ll talk about it later.

Laura gets the bullet out. So come on, Doc, let’s get going. Laura asks if he can take a little more pain and he says he doesn’t have a choice. Laura gets a needle and fishing line (?) from Lulu. Ava tells Dante they’re sitting ducks. He says Jason and Sam will be back soon. Ava is afraid that Valentin might have stopped them, and wishes they’d taken the guards phones. (You mean to tell me not one of them took a phone?) She says Julian could call in some favors. Dante tells her about Julian’s arrest.

The judge lists the charges and asks Julian if he understands. Julian keeps silent. Alexis walks in with Diane and he says he understands.

Nina is on the phone. She says if the charges against Julian turn out to be true, Crimson will have nothing to do with him anymore. Maxie sneaks into the office and does something with the flash drive and the computer.

Claudette shows up at Nathan’s. She says they need more closure. She says she wanted to speak with Maxie privately because she hasn’t been totally honest, but since he’s there, she’ll be honest with him first. She pulls that big honking picture out of her purse again.

Paul states his case about denying Julian bail. Scotty says nothing has been proven, yet the DA claims Julian is a flight risk. He wants Julian to be released on bail into the custody of his wife. I make a noise out loud. Sometimes I watch GH like some people watch football.

Ava refuses to believe Julian tried to kill Alexis. She says she should be back in Port Charles helping him and tending to Avery. Lulu approaches and Ava explains how she ended up with Nicholas. She says at first it was a fun game, but she got to know Nicholas. She tells Lulu how terrible he felt for lying to his family. Lulu says she never stopped loving him and Ava says he was special. Laura joins them, saying Doc is okay for now, but it wasn’t the most germ free scenario. She wonders where Jason and Sam are. Ava says she’s sorry about Nicholas and talks about how much she liked him. She says he was a complicated, but good man. Laura says if he hadn’t come back to the island, he’d still be alive, and the island is cursed. Lulu thinks about the earring she found.

They hear someone coming and hide. Yeah, just leave Doc out there in the open though. Geez, after all these people have been through in their lives, you’d think they’d be a little better at this.

A girl pops out and Dante asks who she is. She says her name is Daphne and she lives on the island. Dante asks if anyone sent her there. She says no, but Ava doesn’t trust her.

Nathan wonders why Claudette is walking around with the photo. She claims she suddenly found it in her bag (okay). She makes up a bunch of nonsense and says she realized she’s over him and wants to move on with her life. She says she wanted to send a clear message and drops he photo into a garbage can. The glass shatters. She says the only thing she wants from him is closure. He says he needs to talk to Maxie. Claudette says she’s got to get to work and will leave that to him.

Maxie continues to mess around on the computer, downloading malware to corrupt Claudette’s files.

Diane flies up to the bench and says Julian has terrorized her client and tried to murder her. She says he’s delusional. Julian gets up and starts whining about how he and Alexis love each other. Is he on the same show as everyone else? The judge tells Julian if he doesn’t knock it off, she’ll call him in contempt and have him restrained. She says there will be no bail.

Scotty tells Julian thanks for ticking off the judge. Julian says bail wasn’t going to happen anyway. Scotty asks what the floor show was for. Alexis asks Julian if he’s nuts. He doesn’t answer that, but tells her he still loves her and thinks she still loves him too. She says he destroyed all of it and she’s there to make sure he pays for what he’s done. He says it’s never going to be over for them.

Maxie says she hopes Claudette is ready to work because there’s a lot of pressure on this issue. Nina comes in with Claudette’s work and says it’s a disaster and can’t go to print. Claudette says someone must have messed with it. Maxie asks if she’s been hacked. Nina tells Claudette she picked a bad day to screw up and calls Maxie into the office. Nina wonders if Claudette gave them someone else’s work when she interviewed. She says she has no choice but to fire Claudette and hire a temp. They go back out and Claudette has a geek working on her computer.

Daphne says she doesn’t want any trouble and promises she won’t tell anyone she saw them. Doc groans and Laura says he has a fever. Daphne offers some antibiotics, but Ava is afraid it’s a trap. Daphne says hers is the only house on the street. When she mentions the street name, Lulu says, omg.

Nathan calls Maxie, leaving a message about her stopping by and saying that they might have been wrong about Claudette. The geek fixes Claudette’s computer. Claudette talks about some cryptic email that was sent when she was out of the office. They hit reply and it goes back to Maxie’s computer. I don’t really get this and I’m pretty computer savvy.

Scotty is like, that went well, and tells Julian that Alexis has nothing but contempt for him. Julian says Alexis is saying one thing, but her eyes say another. Yuk. Scotty says the police have a recording of his confession, but Julian says they’ll see about that. I hope they made copies.

Sonny asks Alexis why she lied to him.

Lulu asks what the exact address is. When Daphne tells her, Lulu says it’s the return address of an empty envelope she received in the mail.

Tomorrow, Sonny asks Alexis about Parker, Claudette wants to say good-by, and Doc thinks he’s not long for this world.

Little Women: LA

I missed the first couple of this season’s episodes, but the main points are: No one knows where Briana is, Elena has preeclampsia, and Terra has decided not to find out the baby’s gender or if it has dwarfism until it comes.

Terra, Tonya and Christy also did a panel at Drag-con. where Christy and Terra buried the hatchet. Sort of.

The news is out. Briana is in the hospital with a bowel obstruction. Facetiming with her, Elena asks if she’d like anyone to visit and Matt says no from the background. When Elena hangs up, she tells Preston the whole thing is kind of sad and because of Matt, none of Briana’s friends or family know what’s going on.

Jasmine and Tonya are taking a workout class. Afterward, Jasmine asks about Kerwin. Tonya says he’s on his way to move in. Their daughter is returning from college as well. They discuss Matt and Briana. Briana has been ignoring Jasmine and Christy’s calls, and Christy thinks she’s in an abusive relationship. Tonya tells Jasmine that if she wants a relationship with Briana, she needs to step back. She adds not to let Christy’s opinion affect things.

The girls get together for dinner. Elena gives them an update on Briana. Jasmine is upset at being cut out of Briana’s life just because she doesn’t like Matt. Christy says Briana’s family has been contacting Christy in hopes of finding something out. Busybody Christy told them about the rumors that Matt has been seeing a transgender woman. There’s a discussion about Matt. Jasmine feels like he’s isolating Briana. Tonya tries to explain they need to back off because that’s who Briana wants with her. Jasmine gets upset and leaves.

Christy goes dog bed shopping with her mother and fills her in on the Briana discussion. She gets weepy over thinking that Briana might not even be getting her texts. She says Briana is losing her identity.

Jasmine and Chris are doing some gardening. It’s rare for Chris to get an afternoon off. Jasmine asks him about the railroad, but he hasn’t gotten scheduled yet. He says it feels wrong for Jasmine to be working so hard while he waits for his dream job. Jasmine says it works for them and she doesn’t care what anyone says.

Jasmine says with her type of dwarfism and hypothyroidism, her health is always of concern. Whenever she gets sick, she has to stay a step ahead so it doesn’t turn into something else. She wants to try and strengthen her immune system.

Briana is home. She says she was on her way out for a spa day with the girls and just fell over in pain. The pressure of the baby has caused her intestines to not work properly. She tells Matt it was the most terrifying experience of her life. She and Matt discuss how early on, the doctor said there might be a choice between saving her or the baby. Matt tells her they’ll make it through this.

Matt says when Briana first went into the hospital, he called Preston and Christy. He was trying to head things off, but then started getting texts and threats from Briana’s family. Briana is annoyed that Christy brought her family into it. She says she gave Christy another chance because she promised to stay away from Briana’s family. Now she doesn’t even want Christy having her new address.

Terra wants to make sure everything is clean before she has the baby, and that includes bathing the cat. Joe thinks it’s a little extreme and possibly insulting to the cat. Zelda the cat certainly takes it better than most of mine ever had. OMG – don’t put her near your face, Terra!

It’s move in day for Kerwin. Tonya has a few things to say about the clothing he’s brought. She can’t believe they’re actually doing this after all these years. She says she wants them both to put 100% into the relationship. Kerwin says she needs to cut all ties with old relationships. Tonya’s ex is also her business partner and Kerwin is not down with that. She says he still has some stuff of hers that slipped her mind, and Kerwin isn’t thrilled.

Jasmine visits Briana, bearing flowers and a gift. Briana reached out to her, but Jasmine is uncomfortable with Matt around and thinks Briana won’t be honest with her. She tells Briana she was hurt that she Facetimed with Elena, but not her. She says Briana is her number one girl. In her interview, Briana says Elena and Preston have always been supportive. Jasmine says she’s still having a hard time with what Matt did and she worries about Briana. Briana tells her that Matt was with her 24/7 while she was sick and is being the husband he’s supposed to be. In her interview, Jasmine says she’ll take Briana’s word for it, but Matt has a long way to go to prove it to her. They discuss Christy’s nose being in Briana’s family business. Briana says she’s done with Christy.

Jasmine brings Chris breakfast in bed, along with a note from their new baby. Her way of telling him that she’s pregnant. She’s concerned about the health complications, since she’s already having some issues. She tells Chris she has to talk to the doctor. He says if she has to be on bed-rest, he’ll do whatever is needed. She says she knows they’ll make it with him in her corner. In her interview, she says whatever comes their way, she knows they’ll get through it. I vote to put Chris in Ripley’s Believe It Or Not museum. A man who actually cares.

Tonya’s daughter, Angelique, calls a family meeting, saying she wants to establish some rules. It’s kind of silly, like she tells them no sex in the house if she’s there. She asks some questions like if they want to get married and why he’s suddenly moving in. When Tonya and Kerwin start to kiss, Angelique runs for the hills.

Terra and Jasmine go for a spray tan. Jasmine says Terra is pregnant and asks if that’s a risk. The clerk says during the first trimester, you should be cautious. Jasmine opts out of the tanning, and Terra realizes why. Jasmine is happy that she and Terra will be pregnant together this time. Terra asks if she’s worried about anything and Jasmine says the only thing on her mind is Chris. She’s hoping the railroad calls soon, just in case she ends up on bed-rest.

Briana has emailed Christy to meet her in the park. She says Christy has crossed way over the line and she doesn’t want Christy in her life anymore. Christy brings a housewarming gift and asks how the baby is. Briana says fine, and tells Christy that she’s moved and changed her phone number, but she doesn’t trust Christy with the information. Christy asks if she got her texts and Briana tells her she wasn’t in a position to answer them. Christy tells Briana that her family is worried. Christy asks to talk to Briana alone. Matt says fine, but tells her about the death threats he got from Briana’s family because Christy interfered. Briana tells Christy that Matt didn’t do anything to deserve this and Christy says, yes he has. My jury is still out about Matt, but I do think Christy needs to back off if she wants to salvage this friendship.

Christy claims the threats have nothing to do with her, and Matt says yes they do, since she’s the one who contacted Briana’s family. Matt leaves and Christy says Briana’s family wants to be with her. Briana says Christy broke her promise not to contact them. She says Christy also hired her publicist, and when Briana found out the publicist was being a mole for her family, she dumped her. Christy keeps saying she didn’t go behind Briana’s back, even though it’s obvious she did. Christy says if Briana wants to have an open marriage, that’s her business, and brings up Matt’s sexting. Briana says Christy can hate Matt all she wants, but she asked Christy to do one thing which she couldn’t do and now Christy is dead to her. In her interview, Christy says it’s like Briana has Stockholm Syndrome.

In her interview, Briana says she doesn’t know why Christy is so surprised. She leaves the gift on the park bench.

They don’t give a preview for this show and I’ve always wondered why.

The Real Housewives of NYC

Dorinda tells Sonja that Bethenny is sick again and won’t be going to Hawaii. She thinks Miami might be better since it’s not such a long flight. She says The Countess is in Palm Beach, so they can hook up with her too.

The Countess and Ramona join them and Dorinda fills them in on the plan change. In her interview, Ramona complains about not going to Hawaii. The Countess says an engagement party on a friend’s yacht has already been planned and now the girls can come too. The Countess calls Tom to let him know the change in plans. In her interview, Ramona complains about that too. Ramona leaves for a doctor’s appointment. Dorinda says she doesn’t dress like that for the doctor, and maybe Ramona is going to a “personal gynecologist.”

Jules goes shoe shopping. She’s excited about Miami, since her parents aren’t far from there. Ramona and Sonja join her. We look at tons of cute shoes that nobody in their right mind should spend that much money on. Jules has decided to go down a day early to visit with her father, who is out of the hospital and feeling better.

Ramona talks about how The Countess told the press about not caring that Sonja and Ramona went out with Tom before she did. Apparently, they got things mixed up and named Ramona as the friend with benefits. Why anyone should care, I’m not sure. Ramona thinks The Countess shouldn’t have mentioned her at all. Sonja and Jules discuss the three date rule and sloppy seconds.

Bethenny is having the girls over to discuss the Miami trip. Carole shows up with a huge scratch on her face from her boxer’s overzealous greeting. A boxer dog, not a human boxer. Bethenny tells them about the ski trip with Brinn and how it was a good bonding experience.

Dorinda brings up The Countess’s engagement party, and says they’ll be going to Palm Beach first on Friday. Ramona wonders why Tom asked The Countess out when he was still dating her. Why are we still belaboring this point? Bethenny says she’s not going on Friday and reads the text she sent to The Countess. Bethenny talks about having a Mexican party to thank them for their support.

Dorinda calls Carole, who is skeptical about the engagement party, but wants to meet Tom. She admits to being curious as to how it’s going to go with Tom, The Countess, Ramona and Sonja on the same boat.

Jules visits her parents. She’s happy to see her dad up and around again. Her drink is coming out at Whole Foods in a few weeks. She says she didn’t expect to be a business owner, but it’s empowering. Her father tells her how proud he is and jokes that she can take care of him now in his old age. She calls the kids and one of them whines that their father isn’t there yet. She says she’ll call him. She’s annoyed that he’s not filling in the way he was supposed to when she was away. Of course all of this is colored by the fact they’re getting a divorce now. It makes me wonder if any fast editing was done after that announcement was made. Jules tells her parents about the Miami trip and how much the girls fight.

Ramona wants Sonja to carry her bag because she’s a selfish twit. Sonja refuses. Good. The Ramona type, who wants you to wait on them, does not fly with me. I always tell them I’m not their boyfriend. The Countess is getting ready for her guests on the yacht. Jules arrives first. The Countess talks about how happy she is.

Ramona asks Dorinda if The Countess still has a problem with her. Sonja thinks Dorinda is stirring the pot. Ramona and Sonja flirt with the driver, embarrassing Dorinda since he’s their daughters’ age. Ramona is still ticked about what The Countess said to the press and won’t shut up about how she was dating Tom when he asked The Countess out. Dorinda thinks the whole thing isn’t right. Ramona thinks The Countess was deceitful in how she picked up Tom when he was out with someone else.

The girls arrive at the yacht. Sonja picks up a glass of champagne and Ramona takes it out of her hand. The Countess hands her another glass and in her interview, Ramona says she’s a bad influence. We tour the yacht. I actually like it better than the Ionian Princess on Below Deck Mediterranian. It’s nicely decorated, not busy and not garish. The Countess is shocked when Ramona says she doesn’t care what room she’s in.

The girls change into bathing suits while Dorinda talks to The Countess. She tells The Countess about Ramona’s remarks concerning the press. The Countess says she doesn’t want to talk to Ramona and nothing is going to ruin her party. Dorinda asks who’s talking to the press. The Countess says she can talk to whoever she wants, since it’s her story, but doesn’t answer the question.

Ramona asks Sonja to take a picture of her. Carole is the last to arrive. In her interview, she says she and The Countess have had their ups and downs, but she’s genuinely happy for her. The Countess tells everyone about the men who’ve been invited. Ramona asks for a list of the invitees because everything is all about her and she wants to know who she can swoop down on. The Countess says she’s not inviting Ramona to anything anymore.

Bethenny is already in Miami. She talks to a friend about The Countess and Tom, and how he was dating Sonja and Ramona. She says The Countess is the biggest barracuda of all of them. She talks about someone sending her a series of texts that would blow up the engagement, and she thinks there’s a possibility of the wedding being canceled if the news gets out. She says she’s going to have to tell The Countess about it. Oooh, tell us first.

The Countess says Tom’s mother is in town and they’ve been looking at wedding venues. Ramona brings up Tom having dated her and The Countess says he was definitely a player, but it’s all BL – before Lu. She says she was a player too, but they’re a perfect match.

The girls get ready for the party. Tom arrives and puts the moves on The Countess. The rest of them gather in one of the bedrooms and Ramona pumps Sonja for information on the last time she saw Tom and how she’s going to feel tonight. Ramona says it would be too weird for her, since the last time Sonja saw him, they were romping in the sheets. Sonja says it’s fine, but Carole wonders if it won’t be awkward. Sonja says she’s getting emotional. Well, yeah, because these insensitive morons won’t shut up. She says she didn’t know he was seeing The Countess. Ramona says that The Countess knew Tom was seeing her and Sonja is like, wha-a-a-at?

Next time, the party commences, Ramona acts like an idiot, Tom is uncomfortable, Sonja is sad, and The Countess tells Ramona to shut up.

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Kristina suggests that she and Parker let tomorrow be tomorrow. That song from Annie pops into my head. You’re welcome. Kristina kisses Parker and Sonny sees. He almost trips coming up the stairs, which makes me laugh.

Elizabeth fills in Finn about a patient who was recently in South Africa. He tells her he’s going out of town for a few days.

Naomi and Hayden have gotten subpoenas and have to go to NYC to testify. Hayden wonders what else they could possibly have to testify about. She also wonders why Naomi had a panic attack and asks what was happening prior to it at the MetroCourt. Elizabeth comes in and Hayden leaves. Naomi asks why they don’t get along. Franco enters the room and asks Elizabeth if he was dreaming or did she really agree to go on a date with him.

We repeat the Friday scene where Valentin (no “e” on the end) shoots Doc. In the melee that follows, Dante gets ahold of Valentin and puts him in a headlock. Lulu freaks over the skeleton in the tunnel. She sees a bracelet on its wrist and thinks it must be Luke.

Hayden asks Finn if he wants to go to lunch. He says he’s got somewhere to be and she asks if he’s found a new connection for his drug.

Parker tells Kristina she has to focus and get ready for her speech. Kristina asks if she can come along. Parker tells her that the attendance list was closed a while ago, but it’s the same thing she covered in class. Kristina apologizes again for how things started with them. Parker accepts the apology, but says it makes it hard for them to move forward.

Doc regains consciousness. Laura tells him to stay still. Dante says if everyone doesn’t drop their guns, he’ll break Valentin’s neck. Another thug has a gun drawn on Dante and Ava says it’s not worth it.

Lulu examines an earring and a bracelet just like her father’s. Hmm… Maybe Luke was hoping someone would find it and think he’s dead.

Ava tells Dante he can’t win the fight and to let Valentin go. She says she just watched Nicholas die and doesn’t want to see him die too. Dante releases Valentin, who acts like he was going to let everyone go and Dante just blew it. Yeah, right.

Hayden tells Finn she wants to help him and apologizes for implying he was a junkie. He thanks her for what she did for him and tells her he’ll return the favor some time, but for now, stop stalking him. She tells him not to flatter himself and that she’s there to see her mother.

Elizabeth tells Franco this isn’t the place for a dating conversation. He says they’ll always have toast. <snort> He starts talking about sending her kids to summer camp again, but Elizabeth says she’d never take anything from Heather. In the background, Naomi starts to have another attack. Elizabeth accepts the date and Franco tells Naomi that she’s his good luck charm. He leaves and Elizabeth sees that Naomi’s heart rate is climbing.

Kristina says Parker wasn’t hesitating last night, so what changed? She asks if they can just be in the moment and Parker says okay, but they need to be responsible. Kristina wants Parker to admit that she likes Kristina as much as Kristina likes her. Parker says she has to go. They kiss good-by. Kristina says she’ll stay there until Parker gets back. They make a cute couple, but it almost seems like their emotional roles are reversed all of a sudden.

Parker leaves. Sonny knocks on the door. Surprise!

Hayden tells Finn about Naomi’s panic attack and the subpoenas. He asks if she’ll be in the slammer by the time he gets back. She asks why he cares. He says he wanted to create some distance, but prison is a little extreme. He tells her he may have found a new source for his drugs and she asks if Sonny has something to do with it. Finn draws the line at that question and tells her to back off. Hayden calls him a colossal jerk.

Elizabeth apologizes to Naomi for Franco barging in and asks if he said something to upset her.

Franco visits Heather bearing a bouquet. She asks if he wants more money, but he says he wants to return what she gave him. He says he wanted to give it to Elizabeth and she refused, but she did say she’d go on a date with him.

Lulu wonders if it’s a set up, but thinks that would be too elaborate a plan. She hears a noise and hides.

Laura tells Doc to stay with her. Ava calls Valentin a bastard, but he says they’ve already established that. He says he was going to let them go, but now they’ve complicated everything with Doc jumping in front of his warning shot. Dante suggests Valentin keep him as a hostage and let everyone else go.

Kristina asks Sonny what he’s doing at the hotel. Sonny tells her he’s there to pick up Morgan’s meds. He asks if she’s staying there and she says no, it’s just a friend who’s in town for the conference and they had breakfast. She tries to blow Sonny off, but he says they need to talk. He tells her he saw her kiss a woman.

It was driving me crazy, so I looked up who’s playing Valentin. It’s James Patrick Stuart who used to be Will Cortlandt on All My Children. I thought I recognized the voice, but he looks very different with a mustache. I have to say he’s grown into a fine looking man.

Franco says Heather had a negative reaction to him dating both Carly and Nina, and he wants to make sure there’s no repeat performance. Heather says even if she objected to Elizabeth, what could she do from prison? He makes her promise she won’t do anything to interfere and she agrees. He wants to know what’s different about Elizabeth.

Naomi tells Elizabeth about the subpoenas. Elizabeth says Naomi’s anxiety increased when Franco was in the room. She says she recognized him from her art collecting friends. She says there were rumors that he was a serial killer, but Elizabeth says he’s not the same person anymore, and he’s been amazing to her and her son. Naomi asks if she’s sure he’s changed and Elizabeth says she is. She feels that if someone acknowledges their faults and sincerely tries to do better, they deserve a second chance. Naomi says too bad more people don’t feel that way. She adds that eyebrows might be raised if Elizabeth starts dating a relative.

Finn tells Hayden about all his research being confiscated and wonders if it’s been destroyed. He says the drugs are a temporary solution and what he needs is a cure. She tells him not to give up, but he says he’s just being realistic. He says he doesn’t want her to watch him die. He doesn’t want to be the reason for more sorrow in her life.

Dante says if Doc recovers, no one has to know about it. Valentin says you can’t hold someone hostage indefinitely, it’s a lot of overtime for his thugs and someone is bound to start asking where Dante is. He says if everyone is dead, there’s no more problem.

One of the thugs comes past Lulu in the tunnel and she whacks him in the head, knocking him out.

Sonny wants to know who Parker is. He says she seems a lot older than Kristina. He asks if she’s a student, and Kristina says no. Kristina tells him that the woman is Parker. He’s astounded that it’s the same Parker that reported her for her advances. Sonny has a look on his face that’s definitely a father in I-can’t-believe-my-kid-just-did-this mode.

He asks why Kristina didn’t tell him and she says she was afraid. He asks what she thinks would happen, and she says she doesn’t know. She says he always wants to fix things and some things can’t be fixed or explained. She says he seemed to like Aaron and he says she did too. She says she does, but she also likes Parker. O.M.G. Kristina tells Sonny she just had the best night of her life with Parker, but she still doesn’t know if she’s gay. Why is she giving her father TMI? Seriously, telling him she might be gay is fine, but would you really tell your dad about the best night of your life?

Heather says Elizabeth is Jeff Webber’s daughter and she loved Jeff. She says Jeff is the reason she’s a woman of means, which doesn’t get explained further. Franco tries to return the money again, but she says it’s useless to her in there. She suggests he buy art supplies and bring her a painting next time.

Elizabeth says she doesn’t understand. Naomi says she overheard her say Franco’s mother is Heather Webber, but Elizabeth says they’re not related, even though Heather was once married to her father. She tells Naomi that Heather is locked up now. She leaves to get Naomi’s release paperwork started.

Hayden says for the first time in her life she wants to help someone even though there’s nothing in it for her. She says if Finn doesn’t like her fine, but don’t tell her to leave just because he’s afraid she’ll fall apart if he dies.

Lulu wonders whether to stick with the plan and try to get help, or take the gun and shoot Valentin. She tells herself that Luke would have said, when in doubt, improvise.

Laura talks to Doc. She says she’s going to keep him alive, but he has to do his part and stay with her.

Dante tells Valentin if he wants to live, he needs to let them go and run. Ava says Valentin will be spending the rest of his life in a cell if he doesn’t disappear. Valentin says she makes a good point, but the last time he listened to her, he almost lost his eye, which makes it difficult for him to want to believe her.

Finn says he thought he was doing Hayden a favor. She tells him to go make his mysterious connection.

Heather has another visitor. It’s Naomi, who is apparently Heather’s money source. I’m trying to make some connection between her and Jeff, but it makes my head hurt. Naomi says that she knows Elizabeth is seeing Heather’s son and tells her not to breathe one word about Elizabeth to Franco, or her life will be more miserable than it already is. Again, I’m thinking that Elizabeth and Hayden are related somehow.

Franco asks Elizabeth if it’s good or bad that his mother approves of them dating. Hayden comes in and wonders where Naomi is. Elizabeth says she doesn’t know, but she escorted her out, and she was surprised to find they have a lot in common.

Kristina asks Sonny if he can accept having a gay daughter and if he can accept her.

Valentin says all he wanted was the Cassadine estate. He says it belonged to him anyway, since he’s older and Nicholas has a questionable background. He says he wants to believe he can trust them, but it’s not likely they’ll keep their mouths shut. He asks who would like to die first. Lulu suddenly pops in with the gun and says she votes for him.

Tomorrow, Carly asks Nina why she wants to help, Parker talks to Alexis, Lulu threatens Valentin, and Sam keels over.

The Real Housewives of the OC

Shannon’s 70s party looks like one of my junior high school dances, both in wardrobe and attendance. We start off in the middle of a fight, but then go back to 48 hours earlier when everyone is getting their costumes together. Shannon and David are at a costume store and Shannon picks out a Farrah wig (Fawcett, not Abraham) and David gets some tight blonde curls. A bizarre conversation happens where the girls are asking David how many times he’s…never mind. My TV viewing today has been filled with things I would never talk to my father about.

Tamra goes shopping with Kelly at a vintage store. Tamra asks how Kelly is feeling about Shannon, since they didn’t exactly start off great. Kelly thinks Shannon is a Debbie Downer and says she’s not the only one who got that first impression. We flash back to Heather kicking Shannon out of her house a couple of seasons back. Tamra tells Kelly about the falling out she had with Shannon, and how it was really her fault and they mended fences. Kelly thinks if Shannon forgave Tamra, she should forgive Vicki as well. Tamra says she has, but doesn’t know if she wants to continue the friendship.

Heather’s nanny is cooking dinner. Heather tells us that she doesn’t cook, but loves to surround herself with food oriented things, like cooking shows and equipment. I totally understand this.

Meghan is going to speak about colon cancer in Washington DC and Heather is going with her. In her interview, Meghan talks about Jimmy’s ex-wife passing away from it. She got involved with a non-profit that raises funds and awareness. She has nothing written out yet, and Heather tells her she might want to move on that.

Terry arrives home. Heather is annoyed that he chose to work on Mother’s Day. He suggests she come with him to New York, but she doesn’t want to leave the kids, so he says he’ll see if the date can be changed.

Briana is home and feeling better. Her kids seem like a freakin’ handful and a half. No wonder she’s sick. Vicki hasn’t responded to Shannon’s invite, but now that Briana is on the mend, she thinks she might go to the party.

Kelly takes her daughter, Jolie, for a mani-pedi. Jolie is nine and Kelly’s mini-me. Kelly says she’s a strict, but fun mom. She asks Jolie about the upcoming Justin Bieber concert, saying she has Bieber fever, and her daughter informs Kelly that she’s too old to be a fan. As Jolie asks for the latest electronics, Kelly informs us that OC children are the most spoiled in the world.

Meghan’s ultrasound and blood work are coming up tomorrow. She asks Jimmy if he’ll be able to Facetime with her, since he’s off to do whatever he does wherever he does it. Meghan says he’s not used to a highly emotional woman going through IVF. She tells him that by the time he gets back, the embryo will have been transferred to her uterus. She’s disappointed that he’s not more enthusiastic, but I don’t think Jimmy is enthusiastic about much. Meghan says she feels isolated.

It’s party time! David is surprised that Shannon invited Vicki and is more angered than Shannon about the whole Brooks/cancer debacle. Vicki stops by Kelly’s place first, wearing the most amazing pink and gold paisley mini dress. We see a high school picture of Vicki in the 70s. She really hasn’t changed all that much. Well, the braces are gone. And she’s blonde. They have tequila shots. Why does everyone like tequila so much? I think it tastes foul and leads to the worst hangover of any liquor.

The venue looks really cool, with a lot of details like lava lamps and pet rocks. The guests are greeted with Jell-O shots. Ha-ha! Eddie has the biggest wig ever – a gigantic blonde Afro. Vicki is hoping they can all hug it out and move on. In her interview, Shannon says she didn’t want to be the one excluding Vicki. That’s probably wise, since Vicki rescued Shannon from her own exclusion once.

Kelly is introduced to a friend of Shannon’s named Jaci (pronounced like Jackie). Jaci says they’ve met before and brings up seeing Kelly with someone else when Kelly and her husband were separated. She does this in front of Kelly’s husband, which Kelly says is kind of a bitch move. Um, yeah. Heather says she’s chosen to move on with Vicki, and if Vicki did lie, karma and God will catch up with her. Meghan starts to feel uncomfortable and ill because of her preparation for tomorrow’s procedure.

Here’s where it starts looking like the school dance. Lots of people on the sidelines and a few straggling dancers out on the floor. Heather is on roller skates and takes a dive. Tamra is annoyed, since she’s preparing for a fitness competition and can’t really drink. Meghan asks where Tamra stands with Vicki now and Tamra says she’s forgiven her and they’re moving on. Meghan says she wasn’t really friends with Vicki to begin with, and doesn’t trust her. In her interview, Tamra wonders why Meghan is sticking her nose into her business with Vicki.

Kelly jokes that David looks like a pedophile. Shannon doesn’t find it funny, but Meghan is actually right. Terry and Heather have a private conversation. Terry promises to be home more after this season of Botched. Heather says she’s heard this before. She says at some point, he’s going to have to realize he can’t always say yes. She tells him that he says yes to everyone except his family. In his interview, Terry says he loves Heather and the kids, but she’s right.

Champagne and liquor flow. Tamra takes note of Vicki and Kelly being drinking buddies. I have the feeling this rubs Tamra the wrong way. Jaci sits with Tamra and Shannon and gossips about Kelly. Kelly comes by with Vicki looking for Vicki’s purse and some girl named Nina gets all involved. She gets nasty, telling them to look somewhere else. When they start to walk away, she says Kelly and Vicki are ghetto. Tamra thinks Jaci and Nina are trying to pick a fight with Kelly. I think wtf?

Vicki finds her purse near Heather, and Heather informs her that Nina put it there. Yep. She did. We see the video. Tamra stirs the pot by coming out and telling them that Nina has a problem with Kelly. Kelly returns to the gossip circle and says she heard Nina had something to say about her.

Tamra tries to extract herself from what she started, which is typical. Kelly says she doesn’t remember Jaci, who looks like every other Malibu Barbie chick. Nina keeps her nose in her phone. Kelly keeps calling Shannon Mrs. Roper and Shannon gets pissed, finally telling her to leave the party. Kelly says fine since the party sucks anyway. To be honest, it looks like a sparse crowd and not much fun. Shannon asks if Kelly is going to get hammered again tonight. She drags Heather into it, whining that she’s being accused of not having a 70s outfit. Huh? Tamra says she sees how Kelly feels set up. Well, yeah, you set her up.

Vicki somehow gets into it with David, who tells her to shut her f-ing mouth. Shannon comes running in, in tears, telling David they’re making fun of her or something. David and Vicki get nose to nose and David calls Vicki a scumbag. She tells him that’s the way he might talk to Shannon, but he’s not married to her. There’s a lot of yelling between David, Shannon, Kelly and Vicki, with everyone else just watching. Terry probably has the best observation face and Kelly’s husband continues to laugh through the whole thing. Kelly says no wonder David cheated. Everyone is like, whoa, and Shannon goes ballistic, accusing Kelly of cheating on her husband, and tells some story about her neighbor having an affair, alluding to it being with Kelly. Kelly keeps saying, who? and Shannon keeps replying, you, like it’s a Who’s On First routine. I think what Kelly is drunkenly trying to ask is, who is the neighbor?

Kelly gets loud, calling Shannon disgusting and ugly, and calling her Mrs. Roper again. Suddenly, Shannon claims she wanted to look like Mrs. Roper. This is so unbelievably juvenile and weird. Kelly curses them out all the way to the limo. Vicki is like, it’s all Brooks’s fault and calls his voicemail, complaining about having to still be dealing with his lies after nine months. Wow. How come I never get invited to parties like this?

Shannon wonders what happened to her party and if it can be salvaged. She and Tamra dress up in some weird costumes where they look nakey, but not really, and giant Afro wigs. They descend on Heather. I don’t know what to say. It’s been pointed out that whenever these girls have any kind of gathering while in costume, a battle is waged. Remember 80s night? Or the Bunco party?

Kelly goes on and on in the limo about being attacked. She says she felt that Shannon set her up with the two wannabes. Michael says she was hijacked, whatever that means. Kelly agrees.

Next time, Briana starts house renovations, Meghan gets her implantation, and Shannon and Kelly meet.

🎠 I don’t recap Odd Mom Out, but highly recommend it. Whether your a mom or not, it’s hysterically funny. Maybe you can tell from this snippet if the show is for you.

Tonight’s episode began with main character Jill in Kiss makeup, waking up on the kitchen floor amid bowling pins and other game pieces, being kissed by a miniature pig. She stumbles to the bathroom to find her husband in the bathtub with a tiger. Drew Barrymore guest starred.
