What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts, recaps, and the whole GH enchilada on Fridays)

General Hospital

Sasha asks what her mother is doing here, but Holly says she has no excuse. Sasha says she’s always had one before and usually roped her into a scam. Who’s the mark this time? Holly says, there’s no mark. Her motive is Sasha’s well-being. Sasha is headed for disaster, and she refuses to let that happen.

Tracy goes to the stables and tells Cody that she found Sasha hitting up Michael for money. When she confronted Sasha, she said it was for him and that he’d been considering asking her. Is that true? Is he in trouble? He says he didn’t think so until she showed up.

Ava meets Ric at the PC Grill, and he says, if all goes as planned, she’ll be as free and available for dinner dates as his ex. She asks, which one?

Alexis goes to Jordan’s office, and Jordan says she was happy to hear about Alexis’s release, but she’s surprised to see her. She thought Alexis would be with her family. Alexis says, that’s why she’s here. Would it be okay for them to talk about Molly and TJ?

TJ goes into the apartment with some dry cleaning and says, Molly’s dress is ready in time for the party. She says, party? and he says, Marshall’s send-off at The Savoy. Did she forget? She says she wouldn’t miss it. She just got caught up in a case. A colleague is handling it, but she wanted to look it over. He asks, what case? and she says, Ava Jerome’s.

Sam and Dante come home, and Dante says, they can see the finish line. Rocco’s mom is going to live because of her. She’s a hero. Sam says she’s just a person doing a good thing, but he says, it’s everything, and they kiss.

Cody promises Tracy that he’s not in trouble, and she says, so he doesn’t need the money? He says, need is a stretch. Like to have it? Sure, but there’s no point in discussing it. She says, Sasha thought differently, but Cody says he didn’t ask her to do it. Tracy says, out with it, and he says, Serenity is on the market. She says, so it’s an emotional purchase. She’s not sure that’s wise. He says he always had a fantasy of buying a place, fixing it up, and turning it into something. She says, what’s the asking price? and he says, 6 million. He thought he could put down a 10% deposit. She says, the interest payments will kill him, and he says, that’s why he dropped it. She asks why he didn’t come to her, and he says he thought about it, but he gets the impression a lot of people draw from the bank of Tracy, and he didn’t want to be one of them.

Sasha says, Holly is here to cause disaster, but Holly says she’s here to rescue Sasha. Sasha says, this is her place of work and she’s on thin ice as it is. She doesn’t need trouble. Holly says she’s attempting to avoid trouble. What’s the angle? Sasha says, there’s no angle. She’s employed by the Quartermaines as their cook. Holly asks if she legitimately does things in the kitchen, and Sasha says, if by that, Holly means prepare, cook, and serve meals, yes. Holly asks if she does dishes, and Sasha says she doesn’t know why Holly is here and doesn’t want any part of it. Holly left her holding the bag in Llanview with David Vickers.😯She’s lucky she got out. Holly says, Ethan was in trouble and Sasha landed on her feet. Sasha says, that’s because Nona took her in. She’d still be waiting tables in Chappaqua if she hadn’t been offered more lucrative employment. Holly asks if she means the job for Valentin Cassadine pretending to be Nina Reeves’s daughter. She’s sorry she hasn’t been the mother Sasha deserves. Sasha says, she’s not the mother anyone deserves. Is she here to ask forgiveness? Sasha forgives her. Now go. Holly says she can’t undo her past failings, but she can stop Sasha from making a terrible mistake and getting more involved with Cody Bell.

Sam calls the kids to come downstairs, and Dante says he has news about Rocco’s mom. For the first time in a long time, everything is more than okay. They found a donor. Rocco asks if they’re definitely compatible, and Dante says, it’s a go. And the donor’s been with them the entire time in this apartment. Rocco hugs Sam.

Alexis says, Molly and TJ seem to be struggling, and Jordan says, they both know the odds of couples surviving the death of a child. Alexis says she believes they love each other very much, but the strain of losing a child is overwhelming. Jordan says, they’re white knuckling it, and Alexis says she’s worried the trial is going to push them over the edge, especially with Ric taking the case. He’s an excellent attorney and if he gets Ava off, it will be even harder on Molly and TJ. Her question is, does Jordan think they should step in and try to help? Jordan says, they can’t fix it. If Molly and TJ are going to survive, they’ll have to do it on their own.

Ric says, Ava has a strong case, and Ava says, but not a slam dunk. He says, Robert wouldn’t be prosecuting if he didn’t think he could make it stick. He has a strategy and hopes it goes as smooth as Heather’s case. It’s being ruled on tomorrow. He needs more facts in Ava’s case, especially with all the people aligned against her. Ava says, here comes one of her biggest fans now, and Kristina walks in.

Jordan says she told TJ and Molly that she was here for them, and she assumes Alexis has done the same. Alexis says, of course (🍷), and Jordan says, TJ and Molly will notify them if they’re needed. Alexis says she was hoping for a way to take the pressure off of them. What if Ava walks? Jordan says she would hate that, but the end result is the same for Molly and TJ. Alexis says, they’re left without Irene, and Jordan says, they only have to decide if they’re facing it together or apart. Alexis leaves.

TJ asks if Molly is sure her looking over the case is a good idea. Or will it cause an ethical issue or get the case thrown out? Molly says she’s just reviewing it. If anyone is going to tank the case, it’s Kristina. Her acts of self-destruction always win out.

Ava says, incoming, and Kristina comes over to the table. She asks if Ava is enjoying her night on the town since it’s one of her last, and Ric says he trusts she’s well. Kristina says she’d be better if she was home with her daughter, and he asks if she doesn’t mean Molly’s daughter. Wasn’t that the agreement? She says, he has a lot of knowledge for an absent father. She doesn’t know how Molly can look at him since he’s representing Ava. She’s the reason Adela died. He says, what happened to Irene was tragic, not criminal. It’s not Ava’s fault. It’s hers.

Cody says he’s heard things, and Tracy says, such as? He says, Ned’s dad was a fraud and swindled her. Dylan’s dad used her. There were a couple of mafioso guys, and he heard about Mitch Williams… She says, enough, and he says, it’s a pattern he doesn’t want to be part of. She says, all Finn wants is a good game of backgammon and Gregory never asked her for a dime. Not every person saw her as a means to an end. He says he’s sorry. He didn’t mean to suggest all the men in her life are the same, and she says, face it. Most are. They laugh, and she says, the one she fell the hardest for was the biggest offender.

Sasha asks Holly why she would break up with Cody. He saved her life. He found her when she was at her lowest, got her on her feet, and kept her going. Holly says she’s grateful, but Sasha has to put an end to it, and Sasha says, it’s none of Holly’s business, but she and Cody have gotten close. In fact, she’s fallen for him. Holly tells her not to say that, but Sasha says, it’s true. She’s not dumping him to help Holly make a buck. Holly says, it’s not about money. It’s for Sasha’s own good. Sasha asks, how? and Holly says, Cody is her cousin. (Didn’t see that one coming either. Her father is… Robert?)

Kristina says, Ava threatened her and came at her, but Ric says, it was the other way around. Kristina went to Ava’s room. Kristina says, the police know everything and have photos that prove Ava was the instigator, and Ava says, Kristina is making a scene. Kristina only gets louder, saying, she hopes everyone knows Ava killed her daughter. Like she killed Connie and Morgan. She got away with it, but not this time. Ava says she’s sorry Kristina is in pain. She lost a daughter herself and understands. Kristina says, Ava’s got no idea. Ava got to spend time with her daughter. See her walk, her first steps, her first words. She didn’t get to hold hers once and is going to make sure Ava is in prison for the rest of her life. Ric says, Ava’s not going anywhere, and Kristina slaps Ric, knocking the glass out of his hand. She says, Ava will pay for what she’s done, when Alexis comes in.

Rocco and Danny are excited, and Dante says, Sam is going to give Rocco’s mom a part of her liver. Sam says she wishes she’d known sooner, but Dante says, they know now. That’s all that matters. The surgery is the day after tomorrow and they’re all going to be on their best behavior while she recovers. They’re going to take the best care of her. Rocco says, whatever she needs, he’s on it, and Sam says, Scout is quiet. Scout asks if she’s going to be okay. (Oh wow. I just had a thought. What if Sam ends up in a coma?)

Tracy says, Luke was an utter scoundrel, and Cody says, sounds like a good time. It sounds like there was more to him than a scam. Tracy says, it didn’t start that way; it evolved. They found reasons to help each other, and liking turned into loving. He says he guesses his entry into Port Charles wasn’t too different. Hopefully he’s cleaned up his image since then. She asks if he’s fishing for a compliment, and he asks what she’s got. She says, he never sets out to hurt anybody, Leo and James think he hung the moon, and he takes remarkable care of the horses. He says, and how does she feel about Cody Bell? and she says she likes him okay. He says, just okay? and she says, a lot. He says he likes her a lot too (me too!) and she says, that’s settled. Is there anything he wants to ask her?

Sasha says she knew Holly could go low…. but Holly says, it’s true. She’s sorry. Sasha says, it’s impossible, and Holly says she never told Sasha who her father was. Sasha says, even though she asked a million times, and Holly says, not telling her was a huge mistake. She realizes that now, but when she was pregnant, she thought Sasha’s father was dead. When he resurfaced, she saw that trouble had a way of following him. There are people who would have thought nothing of using her against him. Sasha says, so Holly was protecting her, and Holly says, the Scorpios have enemies. Mac does and so does her father Robert. (Oh wow again.)

Cody asks if Tracy wants to take Hades out tomorrow, and she says, early. He says he’ll have Hades saddled and ready to go. If he does end up getting Serenity, he’ll have made it happen on his own and not because he borrowed money from a good, very important friend.

Holly says, it’s difficult to hear and harder to accept, and Sasha says, Holly is a liar. Why should she believe her? Holly says, Robert is her father, and Sasha says, if that’s true, why didn’t Holly tell her before? Robert has another daughter, and danger didn’t keep him from having a relationship with her. Holly says she was scared. She couldn’t imagine showing up with a 12-year-old. Sasha says, she didn’t want Robert to hate her? and Holly says, yes, but Sasha says, Robert and Anna get along fine. Holly says, Anna did a better job of raising Robin, and Sasha asks if Holly is ashamed of her. Holly says she’s ashamed of herself. Robert is the love of her life – he still is – and she betrayed him. Sasha says, now Holly is asking her to betray Cody, and Holly asks, what would be the alternative? Sasha says, another con. Robert is her target and she’s up to the same old tricks. Holly says, whether Sasha believes her or not, it breaks her heart. Felicia told her that Cody is a lovely man and they’re happy together. She doesn’t want to ruin it, but there’s no way around it. They’re cousins. Sasha says she’s done with Holly. Stay out of her life and away from Cody. She leaves and Tracy comes in. She says, look what the cat dragged in.

Molly tells TJ that Kristina’s testimony is pivotal. She has to remain composed to walk the jury through the events and emotional enough to communicate her grief and loss. TJ says, and Molly doesn’t trust her, and Molly says, does he? Composure isn’t Kristina’s strong suit and there’s so much riding on it. She’s a timebomb waiting to go off. TJ says, and Molly’s father is skilled. He’ll get Kristina to say things that detract from Ava’s culpability. Kristina found Ava at the hotel. Molly says, she had no business doing that, but a physical altercation took place and that wouldn’t have happened if not for Ava. That’s the point they need to get across. TJ asks if that’s what she’d say if she were called to testify, and Molly asks what he’d say.

Alexis tells Ric that they’re leaving, but she’s not done. Ric says he won’t be pressing charges, but he can’t say the same for the restaurant. Alexis tells Kristina, let’s go, and Ric says, congratulations. She got a lucky break with the gun showing up when it did. She must have friends in high places.

Sam says she’ll be fine, and Scout asks if it will hurt. Sam says, the operation won’t hurt, but she’ll be in pain afterward, and Scout says, after they cut her open? Sam says, it’s a tiny incision, but she’ll be asleep, and Scout asks if she doesn’t need that part of her liver. Sam says, after they remove it, it will grow back. Isn’t that cool? Scout says, like it never happened? and Sam says she’ll be good as new. Dante says, Sam will have a private room, so they can all visit, and Sam says, they’d better. Scout asks if Rocco is happy, and Rocco says, so happy. Scout thinks they should have a party, and Dante says, they’ll have the party of the century. They fist bump.

Outside the Grill, Kristina tells Alexis that she’s fuming. Ava is living her life nothing happened, and her own uncle is defending Ava. Alexis says, it’s appalling, but if Kristina wants Ava to go to prison, stop helping the defense.

Ric asks if Ava is okay, and Ava says she’s used to Kristina’s temper tantrums. It’s not easy on him. The baby was his granddaughter. Can she ask him something? He says, why is he representing her when he believes the fall was an accident? If blame is to be doled out, it falls on Kristina. She’s out of control, as every person here can attest to… on the stand. Ava says, he set this up, didn’t he? but Ric just smiles.

Tracy asks, what golden opportunity brings Holly back to Port Charles? and Holly says she came back with Lucky and thought she’d pop in and say hello. Tracy says, and get into it with their cook. Did she have a problem with the scones? Holly says she missed their hospitality. What brings Tracy back? Tracy asks why Holly cares, and Holly says she understands they have a new stable hand, the long-lost son of Mac. Tracy tells Holly that she’s to have nothing to do with Cody.

Sasha goes to the stables, and Cody says, Tracy was just here. She said Sasha hit up Michael for cash on his behalf. It was sweet, but unnecessary. She kisses him.

Tracy tells Holly that Cody works here. He’s a friend and Mac’s son. How’s Ethan? Should they expect him to visit his sister anytime soon? Holly says, he didn’t take not being a match very well, and Tracy says, so instead of being with him, she came here. Why is that? She can see herself out.

As she and Cody are kissing, Sasha suddenly pulls away. She says she left a soufflé in the over. She’ll come back. She’s sorry. She’ll make it up to him. She jets, and he says, soufflés wait for no one. (I’m loving Sasha’s highlights. Martin isn’t the only one who got a makeover.)

Molly says, Kristina absolutely took matters into her own hands when she didn’t have to. She didn’t have to their baby at risk, but they wouldn’t have lost Irene… He says, without the Ava component. They’re on the same page. She says she missed feeling that way, and he says he’ll never forgive Kristina, but she didn’t throw herself out the window. Molly says, Ava did, TJ says, she has to pay, and they hug. (I’m just confused. Do they have a blame dartboard? I could swear just yesterday, they said it was all Kristina’s fault.)

Alexis says, Ric goaded Kristina and is going to use her behavior against her in court. He’ll say she’s unbalanced and volatile. Kristina says she’s a grieving mother, but Alexis says, it doesn’t matter. He’ll use it in court, say she’s targeting Ava, and that she created the circumstances that led to the baby’s death. If she wants the justice system to work, she needs to compose herself and let the system do what it does. Can she do that?

Ava says, Ric made that happen, but he says, more like it fell in his lap. He invited Molly, but she said she had plans. So he asked Alexis, but she said, no. She was having dinner with Kristina at the PC Grill. What better opportunity to get under her skin? Ava says she sees why Sonny hates him, and he says he’s more interested in what she thinks of him and his tactics. She says, the jury is out. Alexis is smart and knows what he’s up to. He says, fine. Kristina’s outburst is not a silver bullet, but they need all the help they can get. He’s going to break Kristina on the stand like he did tonight.

Scout says, they need a DJ and a disco ball, and Sam says she’s down for a party. Danny says, their prayers worked, but he never thought his mom would be the one to make it happen. Rocco hugs Dante, but Dante says he’s not the one to thank. Rocco says he owes Sam forever, and Dante too. Dante says he didn’t do anything, but Rocco says, Dante promised him donor and it happened. They have a group hug.

We see Lulu’s monitor, and all looks like it’s going well.

Tomorrow, Laura tells Tracy, that’s generous of her, and Tracy says she knows; Sasha says she’s not going to let her get away with it; and Felicia says, Holly needs to be honest with them.

🍊 Not From Concentrate…

Shannon said it was hard for her to be cool after Tamra wrecked her birthday dinner. She was done explaining herself, especially to Tamra. Katie and Tamra did spa stuff, and Katie wondered why Shannon couldn’t just talk like a normal human. And why was she getting plastic surgery when she couldn’t pay bills? In Tamra’s interview, she said, Shannon lived beyond her means. Tamra’s sole focus was just saving for retirement. Gina told Jenn about the text from Alexis that Shannon found. She said she couldn’t believe Tamra chose to attack Shannon for lying. In Jenn’s interview, she said Tamra would rather befriend Alexis if it meant taking down Shannon. Meanwhile, Tamra told Katie that Shannon’s superpower was making people feel sorry for her.

Fancy Pants Heather went to see Shannon. Shannon said she’d made it clear in Sonoma that she wanted the conversation to stay between them, but Fancy Pants said she heard Shannon on Jeff Lewis, and she was flippant. She thought if Shannon just paid the lawsuit, it would die away. Shannon brought out a bunch of papers ripped from a notebook with the totals of what she’d paid for during her tenure with Johnny J. She started throwing out figures and – $600 for dinner??? The only time I’ve even come close to that was on one – count ‘em, one – New Year’s Eve where there was a lot of expensive champagne involved. Fancy Pants and Emily couldn’t stop laughing about how Shannon kept her records, and in Fancy Pants Heather’s interview, she said she thought Shannon would be coming back like an accountant with ledgers and microfiche. An accountant in what year? 1972? Fancy Pants told Shannon that she couldn’t go to court with that, and Emily said, well, she could… and they both started laughing again. So did I.

Gina told Jenn that that Fancy Pants had seen Jenn’s Dolce & Gabbana tea party dress in Neiman Marcus and called Tamra about it. She said she wouldn’t buy something like that if she couldn’t make her car payment. Tamra told Katie about Jenn’s $2000 dress, bur Katie thought maybe Ryan bought it. Katie asked what the FBI business was about, and Tamra said, Ryan’s partner was a bookie and being investigated. Jenn and Ryan used to go to the Bahamas and Vegas all the time on private jets. You hear that? That’s the sound of me banging my head against the wall for my career choices and weeping. In Katie’s interview, she said she’s been where Jenn is. You get to the point where you have to trust your partner, then you get smacked with things and people think you’re an idiot. She’s learned to always have a Plan B.

Shannon aka the Duchess of Corona del Mar wore a tiara, and the group boarded a double decker bus. They rode on the top, where they did the Windsor wave, called out, ‘ello! and acted like idiots. Gina brought up the mammogram thing from last week, but Fancy Pants sent the conversation south real quick. Gina said she was made to feel bad, but Fancy Pants said, that was her problem. Some of the women went to buy chocolate where Queen Elizabeth used to get hers. I assume she didn’t shop for herself, but who knows? She was pretty feisty. Gina, Shannon, Emily, and Jenn went to a place that took old-timey photos. Gina said, the others were having all these conversations among themselves, then they got crapped on.

At lunch, Jenn called out Fancy Pants for relaying her dress info to Tamra. Fancy Pants claimed she was just worried about Jenn and told Tamra that Jenn didn’t need to wear fancy stuff to hang out with them. If you believe that, I have a bridge for sale. Jenn said, last year, the problem was her buying fake sh*t, and we flashed back to Tamra making fun of her. Emily says, Ryan bought it, and in Emily’s interview, she said she thought it was sad when women tried to be something they’re not. Same. Jenn told Fancy Pants, next time, talk to her directly, and Fancy Pants apologized. Then Jenn told Tamra that they were in a pattern. They’d get close, then Tamra would go ballistic. Tamra used the old that’s just me defense, saying that she needed to get it out and she did it wrong. In Gina’s interview, she asked how many times Jenn needed to get hit in the head before she wore a helmet.

Shannon told the group about Alexis’s text and wondered why Tamra hadn’t told them about it. Really. It’s not like she’s a stranger to spreading the word. In her interview, Emily said she was confused as to why Tamra and Heather were Team Alexis, yet held Shannon to the fire. Shannon told Tamra to stop talking about her and called her cruel. Tamra said, shut up, and whenever Shannon started to talk, she put up her hand. The 90s called. They want talk-to-the-hand back. Tamra said, bye, and Shannon said, you, bye. This is my trip. She jetted to the bathroom, and Fancy Pants said, this might be an inappropriate time, but this is the best onion ring I’ve ever had. Sometimes she is good for a laugh.

Shannon called it an early night, while the others jumped around and had PJ party, going to bed at 4 am. In Emily’s interview, she wondered why Tamra didn’t help Shannon be a better person, instead of berating and humiliating her. In Jenn’s interview, she put it more simply – Tamra has no soul. Tamra used their lives to make hers relevant, since her life was boring. Jenn told Tamra to leave her family alone. Jenn stormed out, and Heather said, that was a lot.

Next time, Windsor Castle; Shannon meets with her daughters; and Tamra wonders if Gina pushed Travis down the stairs. Which actually made me laugh.

October 11, 2021 – Ava Makes Spencer Face the Consequences, a Talent Show On Deck & London

Standard

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Nikolas walks into the Spring Ridge visitor room on the phone. He says, just find a way to keep eyes on his son, and keep him updated. Alexis asks how he’s doing, but he asks if that shouldn’t be his line. She says, Ava stopped by on her way out of town. Sorry. He’s probably heartbroken, huh? He says, Ava didn’t leave town, and she says, that’s good, isn’t it? He says he got his wife back, but he lost his son in the process.

Josslyn asks Esme, what’s wrong? Something happen with Spencer? Esme says, Spencer is as okay as he can be, considering he just lost his father and his best friends.

Spencer asks what Trina is doing at Windymere, and she says, visiting her friend. Ava says, a better question is, what is he doing there? and he says he’s looking for his father. Ava says, he isn’t home, and he says, his mistake. She says so he admits he makes them, and he says, when it comes to his father, yeah. She says, but not when it comes to her, and he says, no. Trina asks how he can say that to Ava after everything he’s done to her, and he says, it’s more complicated than that. Trina says, it’s probably not, but forget it. She’s out of there. He asks her to wait.

Brando hugs Sonny, and says it’s good to see him. Sonny says, it’s good to be back, and Brando says, when he heard the news… and Sonny says, it was something else, right? Brando says Sonny was definitely missed, and Sonny says Jason told him about the situation with Renault. Brando says, just another day at the office. But in all seriousness, he was glad to help the family. Sonny says, family’s everything, and Brando says, it’s about to get bigger. He’s going to be a father.

Sasha goes to Nina’s office, and tells her, good news. The cross promotion not only boosted Deception’s sales, but increased Crimson’s circulation. She hands Nina a folder, and Nina flips through it, saying, that’s great news. Sasha didn’t have to deliver this herself in person, so what’s up? Sasha says she has something to say to Nina.

Carly asks if Britt is ready for some radical honesty, and Britt says, she is if Carly is. What is it Carly wants to be so honest about? Carly says, Jason.

At the MetroCourt bar, Shawn thanks Jax for meeting him, and Jax says, absolutely. He assumes it’s about Hayden. How’s the investigation going? Shawn says he’s hit some roadblocks, and Jax says he heard Hayden’s mother was murdered. Right after Shawn and Sam spoke to her, right? Shawn says, it can’t be a coincidence, and Jax asks how it circles back to him.

Sonny hands Brando a drink, saying, he wants to congratulate Brando and Sasha. They clink glasses, and Sonny says, starting a family is a big deal. Brando says he’s getting that sense, and Sonny says he’s going to need a good job, a big salary. He can work out something at the warehouse if Brando wants. Brando thanks him, but says he’s out of the business. He and Sasha just want a quiet life with their baby. Sonny is surprised, since Brando seemed so intent on being part of the organization. Is Sasha pressuring him to leave?

Sasha says she was surprised when she heard Nina knew Sonny was alive for months, and Nina says she’s sure Sasha was. Sasha says, watching that family grieve, especially Michael… Nina says she knows what she did was unforgiveable. Sasha can tell her what she thinks of her; she can take it. Let her get Sasha started. She thinks Nina was cruel, unfeeling… Sasha says she thinks Nina was in pain, and thinks Nina made a mistake, one she’ll regret for the rest of her life. She wishes she didn’t, but she knows what that feels like.

Cameron tells Josslyn, Spencer’s dad cut him off, and Esme says, emotionally and financially. Josslyn guesses that’s not too surprising, but still… Esme says, it’s awful, and Josslyn asks where they’re staying. Esme says, nowhere at the moment, and Josslyn says she’s sure they’ll figure it out. Esme and Spencer are nothing if not resourceful. Cameron says, Joss… but Esme says she deserved that. Josslyn asks Esme why she’s there. She’d made it pretty clear that she blamed them for Sonny confronting Nikolas, which she thinks is pretty funny considering Esme was the one who told Sonny that Nikolas was taking off with Avery. Esme says she’s sorry, and Josslyn asks, for what part? Esme says, for all of it, but try putting herself in Esme’s position. Seeing her boyfriend in pain was torture, so she lashed out at Josslyn and she shouldn’t have. It’s been great talking to Cameron. Josslyn says, that’s Cameron, and Esme says, he’s pretty great. He said he could forgive her and Spence. What about Josslyn?

Alexis asks Nikolas, what’s wrong with Spencer? It’s not the stalker, is it? Nikolas says, Spencer is the stalker, and Alexis says, no. He says, yes, and she asks if he’s sure. Nikolas says, he admitted it, and she says, wow. She thought he was wrong. She guesses it was her that was wrong. He says he still can’t believe Spencer was capable of such cruelty, and she says she wonders why. Maybe it’s because of Nikolas.

Spencer suggests he and Trina go somewhere to talk, but she says she has no interest in going anywhere with him. He asks if Ava would mind giving them some privacy, and Ava says, that depends. She asks if Trina would like some privacy, and Trina says she guesses she’ll hear Spencer out. Ava says she has a call to make, and tells Trina to call if she needs her. She leaves, and Spencer asks if Trina would like to sit, but she says, no. He asks what Ava said to make her so angry, and she tells him, Ava didn’t say anything. He’s the one who makes her angry. He says he thought they’d be on better terms after his apology, and she says, he calls that an apology? Nuh-uh. He’s going to have to up his game.

Shawn says he’s not implying Jax had anything to do with Naomie’s murder, and Jax says he’s glad he’s not on the suspect list. Shawn says he just found himself stuck trying to figure out who it is, so he’ll tell Jax everything he knows so far… Jax says, hoping he gets unstuck. He’s at Shawn’s disposal. Shawn says when he and Sam spoke to Jax last, he told them to talk to Nikolas. Jax asks if Nikolas was no help, and Shawn says Nikolas had nothing to add. Jax says, Shawn thinks he’s lying? and Shawn flashes back to Alexis saying, if there’s a connection between Drew’s disappearance and Naomie’s murder, Sam’s investigation just got more dangerous. This somehow leads back to the Cassadines. It always does. They need to figure out how, before even more people get killed. Shawn tells Jax, let’s just say someone reminded him of what the Cassadines are capable of.

Carly says, everything she told Britt at the hospital that day was a bunch of crap. She just wanted Britt to let go. For her own sake. She knew Jason wouldn’t do it, so she had to. Britt says, so Carly lied, and Carly says, yeah. Britt says, so Carly and Jason don’t love each other? but Carly says, of course (🍷) they love each other, but that’s not why they got married; it was a business situation. Britt asks if Carly thinks she’s stupid, and Carly says, no. Britt says, Jason was on the run. There was some meeting and Carly filled in for him, then he went back and saved her life. She was there in the room, taking a bullet out of his side. Of course (🍷) it was about business, and then it  became about more. Carly says, she and Jason thought Sonny was dead, obviously. If they were going to be married, they wanted it to be real. All the bells and whistles; a true husband and wife. They were happy. Britt says, this is going to sound snarky, but she means it. It must have been hard when Sonny came home. Carly says, Sonny is home; that’s all that matters. She and Jason are processing, but they know what they want. Britt says, which is? and Carly says, things going back the way they were. Britt says, if part of going back means trying to make things okay with her and Jason, sorry. That’s not going to happen.

Brando tells Sonny, of course Sasha was concerned about the danger, but they’re a team. He couldn’t just ignore it. Let’s be real; it’s not like she was wrong. Sonny says he gets it, and Brando says he and Sasha came to the decision together. Now he wants to focus on making the garage a success. Sonny says he’s going to be great, and Brando says, life is crazy, isn’t it? All the twists and turns. If someone had asked him a few months ago what his life would be like… Sonny says, it wouldn’t be this, and they laugh. Brando says, no. Now the idea of putting in an honest day’s work and coming home to the people he loves just feels right. Sonny says, there are perks to the simple life, and Brando says, but it’s not for everyone. Take Sonny. His life is anything but simple.

Nina thanks Sasha for being so kind, and says she doesn’t deserve it, but it means the world. Sasha says, now that she’s about to be a mom, it’s really sunk in how horribly wrong she was to pretend to be Nina’s daughter. If her child was taken somehow, she can’t imagine it, but Nina can because of her. She’s so sorry. Nina says Sasha will be a fantastic mother, and Sasha says she hopes so. Nina says she knows so, and Sasha says, if that’s true, in large part it’s because of Nina. It may not have been real, but Nina showed her what it looks like to be a kind, loving mother. Even after Nina knew what she’d done, and Nina should have despised her, Nina still showed compassion. She means it. If not for Nina and Carly, she’d still be on drugs. Nina doesn’t know about that, but Sasha says, Carly sat her down, and gave it to her straight, then Nina reached out and really cared. That changed everything for her. Maybe Nina and Carly aren’t as far apart as Nina thinks. Nina says, maybe they weren’t then, but they certainly are now.

Jax says he wasn’t living in Port Charles when Hayden was shot, but Shawn says he’s more interested in Jax’s impression of Hayden and Nikolas when they were working together. Before Hayden disappeared. Jax says Hayden and Nikolas’s relationship was contentious to say the least. But Nikolas was in a bad place then. He was unpredictable, and scared Hayden so badly, she left town. Shawn says, Nikolas was the reason Hayden left?

Nikolas says it’s his fault, and Alexis says, of course (🍷) it is. That’s why he came to talk to his Aunt Alexis, so she’ll tell him how it is. He asks, how is it? and she says, he let his son believe he was dead. She gets that he wanted the Cassadine fortune, but that can’t trump his relationship with his own son. He hurt Spencer. He says, and Spencer hurt him right back, and Alexis says, Spencer was always good at pranks, but this one is at a whole new level. She wonders if Spencer knows the gravity of what he’s done, and Nikolas says, Ava said something that stuck with him. She said she wasn’t sure if Spencer was sorry for his actions, or sorry they didn’t work. Alexis says she knows the pain of feeling like you failed, but he hasn’t failed. He and Spencer will work it out. Nikolas says, Spencer is gone from his life because he threw Spencer out. She says, that’s the worst thing he could have done.

Josslyn says she, Cameron, and Spencer have been friends their whole lives, and Esme says, that’s really beautiful. Josslyn says, if Spencer is truly sorry, then yes, she’ll find a way to forgive him. Life’s too short. Esme says, that’s all she asks, and Cameron asks if Josslyn is okay after talking to Nina. Josslyn says, it was intense, and she’ll fill him in later. Esme tells them, talk now. She’s headed inside to get coffee. She thanks Cameron, putting her hand on his shoulder. She goes into Kelly’s, and Josslyn says, wow. That girl will say or do anything, won’t she? Her whole contrite act, crying on Cameron’s shoulder. Did she really think they’d buy it? Cameron says, she doesn’t?

Spencer says he’s bad at apologizing; he hasn’t done it much in his life. Trina says, it’s a start, but you can’t just say you’re bad at something. You actually have to get better. He says he told her that he deserves anything she throws at him, but she says, that’s not the same as actually saying he’s sorry. He says he is sorry, and she says, for what? He says, that he took it this far, and that he let her get caught up in it. She says, he could have stopped when he saw her at the gallery, but he says, the sprinklers were already set to go off. She says, then he could have taken off his stupid mask. Does he know how scared she was? She thought he was going to hurt her or worse. It’s pretty obvious that at no point in his plan did he think of anyone else. There are so many ways he could played it. He didn’t want her to see his face, fine. He could have told her that she wasn’t in any danger, but he didn’t care. She was nobody to him. He says, she’s not nobody.

Nikolas tells Alexis, his son is only 18, and came up with an elaborate plan to terrorize Ava. First hiding, not telling Nikolas that he was back in Port Charles. Then, face-to-face unrelenting, even when he saw all the pain he was causing. He’s a true Cassadine. Alexis says, which is exactly why Spencer needs his father right now, and Nikolas says, what Spencer did was unconscionable. She asks what Nikolas calls what he did. Spencer is just acting like Nikolas. Slamming the door in his face isn’t a solution. Spencer needs guidance, not abandonment. This is no time for Nikolas to turn his back.

Spencer takes Trina’s hands, and says she’s the opposite of nobody. He knew it the moment he laid eyes on her. She asks if he means right before he covered her in fake blood, and pulls away from him. He says, the way she stood up to him. She got in his face and whipped out that pepper spray without flinching, even though she knew it was empty. She says she’s so glad her terror is a fond memory for him, and he says, and the way she bounced back. She refused to let him ruin her night, and he thought she was so cool. It proved she was someone worth knowing. She says, or someone to cover up for him when she figured out who he really was, and he says he’s sorry he lied. She says, about everything? and he says, no, not everything. He wasn’t lying when he told her the guy at the gallery was a jerk. And he wasn’t lying when he said it never should have happened to her. Tell him she believes him. She says, believes what? That he’s even capable of telling the truth?

Cameron tells Josslyn, all he’s saying is Esme seemed genuinely upset, and she says, Esme can seem like a lot of things. He asks if she doesn’t think Esme cares for Spencer, and she Josslyn says, if she did, why would she try to turn Spencer against them and put Spencer’s father in danger by lying to Sonny? He says, she apologized for that, and by the way, she didn’t lie. She thought Avery was going with Nikolas and Ava, and why wouldn’t she? Avery is Ava’s daughter. She says, he really believes Esme? and he says, why bother coming up with a cover story? Spencer is obviously crazy for her (boy, is that the right word). She doesn’t need their seal of approval. Josslyn says she’s gets a vibe from Esme, and doesn’t like it. She thinks Esme is using Spencer. He says, for what? and she says, Spencer is richer than God. He says, so is Esme, and she asks how they know that. Because she said so? Think about it. What do they actually know about her? He tells Josslyn, say she’s right; Esme’s after the money. After Spencer’s money was cut off, shouldn’t she be dumping him? Why is she still in Port Charles?

Inside Kelly’s, Esme answers her phone, and says, this is she… Really? She got the internship at Spring Ridge?… Thank you so much. She can’t wait to get started.

Jax tells Shawn, Hayden ran because she thought Valentin was after her, but it was Nikolas who wanted her gone. He’s surprised Elizabeth never mentioned it. Hayden disappeared years after she got shot, but who knows if the two things are connected? Shawn says, if they are, this will be complicated, and Jax asks, how? Shawn asks if Jax thinks Alexis will think it’s okay that he’s investigating her nephew. Alexis is the reason he’s out of prison. He owes her everything. Jax says, Alexis, of all people, would want to know the truth. Shawn thanks Jax for his time. Jax says, no problem, and Shawn leaves.

Britt says, Jason is an amazing guy, and Carly says, he’s the best. Britt says, the time she spent with him was wonderful, and Carly says, Britt doesn’t want it back? Britt says, no. She’s sorry for what happened to Carly, and sorry for Jason and what happened with them almost marrying, then Sonny… It’s super complicated, but for her it was a blessing. Carly says, losing Jason was a blessing? and Britt says, because if she’d let herself fall for Jason, and then realized Carly would always come first – and she does mean always – she would have lost her mind.

Nina tells Sasha, Carly thinks it was only about revenge, but it wasn’t. During the initial phone call, when she tried to tell Carly, she gave in to a bad impulse, but had intended to call back the next day, and tell Carly about him. Sasha asks why she didn’t, and Nina says, it quickly became less about Carly, and more about Nixon Falls and how happy Sonny was. She created this whole world that she got swept up in. It had nothing to do with Carly. She felt bad about keeping the secret, but she wasn’t doing it to get back at Carly. It’s really hard to explain. Sasha thinks she understands. Nina was really happy there, wasn’t she? Nina flashes back to dancing with Sonny, and says she was. Sasha laughs, and says, it’s hard to imagine Sonny as a bartender. Nina says, he was just different without the weight of the mob being on his shoulders. Sasha says, in what way? and Nina says, way lighter, more joyful, more at peace. Sasha says, she thinks Brando feels the same way.

Sonny says he respects Brando’s determination to make it on his own, and Brando says, that’s a stretch. He only has the garage because of Sonny. Sonny says Brando definitely earned it, and Brando says he may not need a job, but he could use some pointers in the dad department. He always knew Sonny was a good one, but seeing Sonny’s family try to move on, and seeing how big a hole Sonny left in their lives, drove it home for him. Sonny is irreplaceable. Sonny thanks him, and says, parenting isn’t something you can prepare for. You can read all the books, but the only way to do it, is to do it. Brando already knows what the most important thing is. Brando asks, what’s that? and Sonny says, nothing is more important than family.

Cameron and Josslyn sit down outside Kelly’s, and he asks how it was talking to Nina. She says, it was awful, but she said what she wanted to say, so there’s that. He says he’s proud of her, and she says she knows he wants to get off the subject of Spencer and Esme – so does she – but Esme is seriously sounding off alarm bells for her. She knows Spencer is capable of some ridiculous crap, but sending that bear to Avery and torching Ava’s car was next level. He says, Spencer’s dad made him believe he was dead. Maybe Spencer was just that angry. She says, or Esme took it upon herself to raise the stakes, and now Spencer is being forced to cover for her.

Spencer says he is capable of telling the truth, and truly wants Trina to forgive him. She asks why he cares, and he says, because he cares about what she thinks. He cares about her. She says, convenient timing, now that everyone hates him. He says, the timing may be suspect, but it’s still the truth. He was hoping, and still is, to be her friend… because she’s his. She’s the only friend who didn’t know him as Spencer the Cassadine heir. Or Spencer the orphan, or Spencer the ATM… She says, or Spencer the jerk? and he says, that too. He’s sorry he manipulated her, and even more sorry he hurt her. Please believe him. She asks how she can believe anything he has to say ever, and Ava asks if everything is all right. Trina says she has to go, and Spencer says he’ll take her to the launch, but she says she’d rather go alone. She leaves, and Ava says, now she has Spencer all to herself. It’s so much more civil to look your enemy straight in the eye. Doesn’t he agree? He nods, sort of.

Nina tells Sasha that she’s glad to hear Brando is out of the family business, now they’re about to become parents. Sasha is going to have a baby; can she believe it? Sasha says, no, and Nina asks how she’s feeling. Sasha says, she’s okay. Her blood pressure had been high, and she was put on bedrest, but she’s better now. She can finally leave the house. It turns out that she’s not meant for lounging around all day. Nina asks how things are going on the Brando front, and Sasha says, everything is great. Brando walks in, and Sasha says, look who it is. Nina asks if his ears were burning, and Sasha says they were just talking about him. He says, good things he hopes, and Sasha says, only the best. He gives her a smoothie, and tells her, from Perks, extra spinach, no ginger. Nina says she remembers Sasha liking ginger, and Sasha says, she does, but the baby doesn’t. Nina says, of course (🍷), and Sasha asks what Brando’s been up to. He says he went to see Sonny.

Britt says, look at the number Jason did on Sam, and Elizabeth, and Carly says, there are two sides to that story. Britt says, sure, Elizabeth moved on, but she’s heard enough hospital gossip and seen it for herself that Elizabeth still carries a torch for Jason. Not that it’s ever going to happen for her, because Carly is his top priority. Carly says, if Britt thinks she’s selling her on the fact that she doesn’t want him… and Britt says, if Carly thinks she’s selling her on the fact that she’s being magnanimous in gifting him back to her, please. What that tells her is that Carly still thinks she’s in control of Jason’s life, and Carly says, in control, no, but she is part of his life and won’t step aside. Accepting her is the price of admission. Isn’t Jason worth the price of admission? Britt says, no. Coming in second doesn’t work for her. She starts to leave, and Carly says, she gets it; she really does. It’s Britt’s life and Britt’s choice, but Jason is a hard habit to break. Britt says, not for her, and the elevator opens. Sonny gets out and Britt passes him, saying, Mr. Corinthos, hello! very animatedly. Carly asks how Sonny’s talk with Phyllis went, and he says, good. They’re lucky to have her as a friend. He hopes Carly doesn’t mind, but he told her that she could stay at the MetroCourt. Carly says, of course (🍷). But sadly, their bartender can’t compare to the Tan-O’s.

Alexis tells Nikolas, do better and be better for his son. Nikolas says if he’s such a terrible role model, maybe his son is better off without him. She tells him, stop whining, and he says, Spencer said himself that he’d done all these terrible things because he loves Nikolas. Alexis asks if that isn’t what he said when he played dead all those years? He did it for Spencer? He says, it’s the Cassadine way, but she says, no. The Cassadine way is to discard those who don’t fall in line. Fight for his kid. He made some horrible decisions, but he’s a good man. Stay in there and teach his son to be a good man too. No lying down.

Spencer tells Ava that he never said she was his enemy, and she says he didn’t have to say it. She’s sure he’s heard the expression, actions speak louder than words, and his actions were deafening. They ultimately failed, and she’s still here. He doesn’t have to like her, but he does have to hear her when she says, this is over. There will be no more attacks or scare tactics ever again. He says, it’s not like anyone got hurt. He was just trying to teach her a lesson. She says, he doesn’t think being separated from her child hurt? He doesn’t think her planning to leave Avery behind hurt? He says she fired the first shot, when she refused to testify against Valentin. She chose her face over his father. She says, as they discussed, she was wrong, but that didn’t give him the right to terrorize her. He says he’s sorry he took it this far, but he’s not sorry he went after her. She’s bad for his father; that’s just a fact. She says his father disagrees with him. She’s his wife, and she’s not going anywhere. If Spencer ever comes after her or Avery again, there will be hell to pay – a hell unlike anything he’s ever witnessed. Does he get her?

Cameron tells Josslyn that he has to get back to work, but he just wants to add one thing. She said herself that she’s known Spencer since forever. Is it possible that she wants to push the blame on Esme because she doesn’t want to blame a friend? She says, possible, but highly doubtful, and he says he’ll see her later. Esme watches, and goes over to Josslyn. She says Josslyn is really lucky to have Cameron; he’s an amazing guy. Josslyn agrees he is, and asks what Esme wants. She says she just wants Spence to be happy, and Josslyn says, that’s it? Esme says, that’s it, but to be happy, he needs his friends. Cameron seems ready to put all this behind them. Can’t Josslyn do the same? Josslyn says she told Esme that she’s not giving up on Spencer, so… Esme says, just on her. She might not be Josslyn’s favorite person, but she and Spence are a package deal. Cameron accepts that, and Josslyn would be wise to do that too. Josslyn asks, what is that supposed to mean? and Esme says, just this; she’d hate for Josslyn to be left behind. Esme passes Trina on her way out, and says hi. Trina asks Josslyn, what was that? and Josslyn says, nothing good.

Spencer says he’s not intimidated by Ava. He won’t let her poison his father against him. She says his father’s relationship with him is up to his father. Nikolas knows she’ll deal directly with him. He asks how she’s going to do that, when two cops walk in, and tell Ava that the housekeeper let them in. Spencer says they can’t just waltz in there, but Ava says she called them. He says, she called the police to have him thrown out? but she says, don’t be silly. She called the police to have him arrested – for harassment, criminal mischief, and breaking and entering. He’s about to face the consequences of what he’s done.

Shawn comes into the visitor room, and asks if he’s interrupting, but Nikolas says he has to get going. Alexis tells Nikolas to think about what she said. She believes in him. Nikolas leaves, stopping to exchange looks with Shawn on his way out the door.

Brando asks Sasha if it was weird of him, bringing up Sonny in front of Nina. She says, it was bound to happen. She just hopes her friendship with Nina doesn’t cause problems for him and his family, but he says he can handle his family. She says, good answer, and they get in the elevator.

Nina flashes back to kissing Sonny.

Sonny says Brando asked his advice on fatherhood, and Carly says she’s not surprised. He is one of the best. He says, one of the? and she says, yes. Of course (🍷) she has to include Michael in that. Her phone beeps, and she says she has a meeting she forgot about. It won’t take long. Will he wait here for her? He says he’d wait anywhere for her, and she leaves. He goes over to Jax at the bar, and Jax says, welcome home. Sonny asks if Jax missed him, and Jax says, Josslyn did. Sonny says, since he’s here, they have a lot to chat about.

Tomorrow, Shawn tells Alexis that she might have the wrong Cassadine, Nina tells Phyllis that she has to find a way to forget Mike, Jax says Sonny is an obstacle, and Carly tells Jason that she wants Nina to know what it’s like to lose something she loves. And I hate Carly, but you knew that already.

Below Deck Mediterranean

Two hours before charter. Captain Sandy radios the crew to meet in the main salon. She says, some of them, or maybe all of them, know that she sent Lloyd to shore for an EKG. She wants them to send him positive thoughts. Even if he can’t come back, they have to make sure to keep up the momentum. In Malia’s interview, she says her first concern is Lloyd, but being down a crew member, and interior having chosen to be down a crew member, they have zero room for error. The captain says, the guests are boarding on anchor, and it’s the first time they’ll be doing it this season. Let’s do it. In Katie’s interview, she says when she chose to go down to two stews, she didn’t know they’d be down a deckhand as well. The plan now is just to survive. Malia tells David that she’ll take Lloyd’s watch, and he’ll be on deck in the morning by himself. In David’s interview, he says he’ll be there to help wherever he can. He wants to be there to help push them through. Captain Sandy radios for the crew to proceed to the aft deck.

The guests are ferried out to the boat. Primaries Ian and Janelle introduce themselves, along with the rest of the guests. Captain Sandy says she’s hoping the weather holds for them. Katie will show them around, and they’ll be on their way. The guests clink champagne glasses, and Katie gives them the tour, including the galley. Ian asks where Mathew’s hairnet is, which is a joke, since Mathew is bald. In Mathew’s interview, he says, game on. Anchor is pulled up, and the captain says they’re good to go. Mzi and Courtney dance around, chanting, we got this. Guest Michael doesn’t take long to knock over his wine glass, and in Courtney’s interview, she says, they seem rowdy. Malia makes the same statement to her deckhands, and thinks the interior will need help. In Mathew’s interview, he says he gets insecure when he gets criticism. Now, all he can think of is the fish he served Captain Sandy. Hopefully, he can get his head out of only thinking about brown fish. Katie serves lunch, and Courtney steams clothes. One of the guests thinks the fish is bland, and another asks for hot sauce. In Katie’s interview, she says, f***. She knows she’s not going to get a good reaction from Mathew. At the end of the day, she’s just doing her job, and he needs to do his. The doctor calls with an update on Lloyd, and tells the captain that they did an EKG. Everything is in order, but she wants to observe him for another hour, and see where it goes. Captain Sandy asks if she knows what caused it, and the doctor says, it was a panic attack, but Lloyd is fine now. I can understand this, since I’ve had panic attacks. They’re really no joke, and it does feel like you’re having a heart attack. In the captain’s interview, she says she’s so relieved. She knows they’re shorthanded, but she’d like Lloyd to get a good night’s sleep, and join them in the morning. She doesn’t want to rush him.

Katie tells Mathew that the guests like everything, but the fish needs more flavor. Mathew says he just wants to cry, and Katie says he can cry in three days. In his interview, Mathew says he thought every piece was perfect, and tells Katie that he’s sorry he ruined the charter, not exaggerating too much. Anchor is dropped, and Mathew tells Courtney, it’s going to be sh*t this trip. Guest Ronnie gets in a wetsuit and on a jet ski, along with another guest. In David’s interview, he says he gives these guests a ten out ten for effort with the water toys, but a one out of ten for natural ability. They’re an accident waiting to happen. Captain Sandy tells Malia, so crazy, huh? Thank God it’s the last charter. Courtney asks Katie about the anniversary dinner, and Katie says she got a really cool balloon heart. Courtney says she’s been thinking about a rap for the talent show. The balloons come, and they’re shaped like a heart, half red, half white. The guests all dress in white for dinner, and Katie asks Malia to turn on the hot tub for later. Mathew tells Katie not to be mad if the guests hate the filet mignon and lobster. I’m not sure what there is to hate there, but I guess Mathew is on a roll. Ian’s wife and co-primary Janelle tells Katie, it’s what they had at their wedding, and Captain Sandy comes by, asking how the dinner is.

Janelle tells the captain that it’s what they had at their wedding, even though Mathew couldn’t have known. Everyone thinks the food is delicious, and in her interview, Captain Sandy says, they love Mathew’s food again. He’s been riding a roller coaster the entire season. We flash back to Mathew leaving, Mathew coming back, and Mathew’s multiple freak outs. The captain says she wants to end on a high note, considering everything they’ve been through. She thinks they’re headed in the right direction. Mathew tells Katie, thank God he’s back in the guests’ good graces. David helps clean up the galley, and in Malia’s interview, she says they’ve been working around the clock; doing their deck responsibilities even though they’re down one, and helping everywhere else. It’s been a lot. Janelle tells Katie that they’re going to be up a while. The guests go to the lounge, and order drinks. Katie tells Courtney to go bed. Save herself. The guests play cards and drink. Katie cleans when she’s not busy serving, and Mzi says, crazy wind; crazy guests. David helps dry dishes.

Lloyd calls Mzi, and tells him that he’d had a panic attack. Mzi says, the cabin is lonely. In Mzi’s interview, he says, Lloyd is the purest guy he’s ever met. It’s hard to find people like that. Guest Deborah calls for Katie, singing her name. In Katie’s interview, she says she chose to have only two stews. She’s in an impossible situation, but she still stands by her decision. Now she needs to prove herself right, and she’s got her work cut out for her. The guests finally go to bed, and so does Katie, at 4:32 am.

Ostrica, Croatia, Day Two of Charter. Mathew asks Malia if Lloyd is coming back, and Malia says he texted that he’s feeling better. They need him for the talent show. The crew has rented an Airbnb for after the season, and in Courtney’s interview, she says she can’t wait for this charter to end, so she can be with her friends off the boat. She doesn’t know how they’ll be after this charter, and hopes they still like each other. The wind kicks up, and in Malia’s interview, she says, bad weather is the crew’s worst nightmare, since the guests will be inside 24/7. Breakfast is served, and Lloyd returns. In her interview, Malia says she’s relieved. Not just because she needs Lloyd, but she’s worried about him. The captain radios the crew that Lloyd made it back on board.

A putting green is set up, and Mzi offers to play with the guests. Malia makes beds, and the captain catches Lloyd having a cigarette in the rain. She kindly offers for him to come where it’s dry to smoke. Mzi’s golf skills amaze the guests, and in his interview, he says that he may be a green deckhand, but he’s effing good at golf. His mom is a professional, and he’s been playing since he was seven. Captain Sandy tells Lloyd that she knows the panic attack didn’t happen over nothing, and he says he’s having anxiety over the season ending, but she tells him that he’ll be okay. She’ll give him her number, and if he ever runs into anything, he can call her. The guests play more cards and drink. In Katie’s interview, she says, they’re trying to break her, but it’s giving her enough energy to push through. She doesn’t step down from a challenge. Lloyd goes around, and says hi to everyone.

David says he has to work on his emcee skills, and in his interview, he says, if he’s drunk enough, he’s quite a good karaoke singer, but only Aladdin or The Lion King. In Mathew’s interview, he says, after a rocky start, the train is back on the tracks. Captain Sandy is going to be at dinner, and last time, it wasn’t perfect. It puts him in that headspace again. Courtney practices her rap, and in Malia’s interview, she says, it’s a weird thing to ask them to do. They’re not there to be the guests’ entertainment; they’re there to do their jobs. If any of them had a good talent, they wouldn’t be in yachting.

Lloyd passes out scorecards to the guests, and does a bit on English slang. He introduces Mzi, who does tricks with a golf ball and iron. Malia does a handstand, and walks a few steps. David explains that he’s not talented with audience stuff, but does this thing where he hops on one leg while holding the other, somehow jumping over the held leg. I know I’m not explaining it very well, but the guests were impressed. Katie comes out with Courtney, and says, they’re Katie and Coco. They do a rap that includes something about everyone, guests and crew. In Katie’s interview, she says, she’s cringing, but she’s just happy that the guests are happy. She’ll leave the rapping to the OGs. Dr. Dre can have this one. Regardless, they get the most points, and are the winners. The guests sit for dinner.

The captain joins the guests, and Janelle remarks on Katie’s beautiful table setting. I agree Katie decorates a table beautifully – this one in silver, blue, and white – but she’s got a more formal style than Kate, who’s more Bohemian with her tablescapes. Ian asks what’s the worst dinner the captain has been at, and Captain Sandy says, it wasn’t the worst, but the wildest was Johnny Damon. We flash back to that, and one of the guests says, Johnny is a great dude, but starts drinking like the old baseball players. I’m not quite sure what that means, but I guess they drank themselves stupid. Lloyd and David get out the beach picnic stuff. Captain Sandy tells the guests, if she drank with them, they wouldn’t get back to the dock. Guest Crystal wonders if the microgreens are beet related, since she’s tasting all kinds of beets going on. The captain goes to the galley, and tells Mathew that a guest has questions. He comes up to the table, and tells Crystal that the microgreens were called blood something, and she says they remind her of beets. He offers her a different plate, and when he gets back to the galley, googles it. He tells Katie, they’re bull’s blood beets. He f***ed up, and basically lied unintentionally. They quickly look on the preference sheet, and Crystal is only allergic to alfalfa sprouts. Captain Sandy thanks the guests, and thanks Mathew. He asks if the guests are upset, but she says, she loved it; it was delicious. In her interview, the captain says she wants to make sure Mathew knows they’re happy with his performance. No matter how great it is in every other area, he goes to the criticism. She wants to make sure he stays focused.

In David’s interview, he says he knows he took a lot of pressure off Malia. He knows she appreciates his efforts on deck, and he appreciates her as a bosun, workmate, and friend. The guests have more drinks, and in Katie’s interview, she says she’s going to be up again until four, isn’t she? Mathew feels bad that the guests didn’t look happy, and Katie says, there’s nothing he can do. He says he can complain to her, and she says she’s working 19 hour days. It doesn’t matter. It amazes me how much stuff they have on the boat in the way of provisions, since the guests are asking for all kinds of odd combinations, and they have everything. Ian asks Katie if Mathew can whip up some snacks, and she says he’s gone to bed, but she’ll make something. She sees Mathew is still in the galley, but tells him that she’ll make some crisps and sh*t. In her interview, she says, the last day of the charter season is tomorrow. She’s so exhausted. The whole crew is exhausted. She f***ed up. She made a mistake.

In the morning, Mathew says he needs to change his vibe. Courtney sets the table for breakfast, and Malia says, it’s the last day, and they know what’s coming – the beach picnic. Katie tells Mathew that they’re seeing how far the picnic area is, so they can make a plan. It’s the last day; come on. She asks if Mathew is good, but he says, no. In his interview, he says he’s still upset about dinner, and hasn’t fully planned what’s on his menu. It sucks. One guest wants toast and coffee, but everyone else’s breakfast order is complicated. I can say with confidence, if I was paying the equivalent of a year’s salary to rent a boat, I’d be having more than toast and coffee. As a matter-of-fact, I’d be eating and/or in that blue, blue water the entire time. Mathew says, what a difficult day it’s going to be. I feel his pain in making the sunny side up eggs. He says, WTF? and makes a mess out of several eggs and an omelet. In his interview, he says, when he was in his 20s, he had the worst breakfast service in his life. He cracked 40 yolks while plating hollandaise. That’s what happens when he’s spiraling. He tells Katie that he’s broken 10 eggs, and it’s going to put him over the edge. Katie says, it’s the last day, and he says he’s going to cry. she says, no, and in her interview, she says, he needs to figure it out, and they need to do their jobs. He says he hates his life right now, and Katie says he’s fine; they’ve got this. Katie tells Courtney that Mathew could lose it, and Courtney tells her not to say that. Mathew says, you effing suck, is repeating in his head, and it’s overwhelming. He asks if Katie will do him a favor and shoot him in the head.

Next time – the finale – no one shows up to serve the guests in the hot tub, and they have to go hunting for staff (the worst possible mistake next to bad food); Katie admits she effed up; Mathew hates the kitchen, and is going to lose it; Malia says they have the perfect place for a picnic – or an execution; and we meet the chef who was in quarantine.

October 21, 2019 – Carly Has a Chat With Sasha, a Disrupted Beach Picnic & Werewolves At Dawn

Standard

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

I missed the beginning, but the takeaway points are: Finn wonders if Curtis knows what Hayden has been doing all this time, Elizabeth and Hayden meet at the café, and Lucas grills Brad on the possibility of someone tampering with the DNA tests. Michael and Sasha see Carly at the MetroCourt, and Carly asks Michael to put some gifts for baby Donna in her car. Moving on…

Robert reminds Felicia that the Bureau put him out to pasture. She says she knows, and he says then she must know he has no say where Anna goes. Felicia says Anna told her about the awkward phone call from Finn. When she told him about the new lead on Alex, he pressed her to come home. Robert says, Finn is a civilian. Anna is out there chasing an international fugitive. Felicia wonders if another agent can’t take over. Anna is too close, and it’s blinding her to what’s important in her life. Felicia is worried that Anna’s absence is causing a strain on her relationship with Finn.

Curtis tells Finn, every time he’s brought it up, Hayden gets cagey, and changes the subject. The only thing he knows for sure is that she was in Rome for a couple of months. That’s when she asked Finn to meet. The only place he knows she lived in before that, was the hotel room. Finn says, where she wrote the letter she never sent. Curtis says, exactly, and asks Finn, where’s this coming from anyway?

Brad says he has no clue, and Lucas asks if someone couldn’t pull some strings. Brad says, someone? He doesn’t do that anymore, and doubts anyone at GH would. Lucas flashes back to Brad calling out Michael’s name in his sleep. Lucas says Brad could call the florist to find out who sent the flowers. Isn’t he curious himself?

Jax asks if Nina wants to take a break for dinner, but she says she has a deadline. Jax says Maxie had cleared her schedule for a few weeks. He’s not taking no for an answer. Nina says she’ll have to take a raincheck. She has other plans with someone. Valentin walks in, and says he thinks she’s referring to him.

Brad tells Lucas that he understands from the florist that the person paid cash. There’s no way to find out. Lucas says, weird. Flowers from an anonymous sender. Julian brings Ava in, and says, good. Lucas is on duty. Lucas asks, what’s going on? Julian says, Ava fainted at the MetroCourt.

Elizabeth asks Hayden, what’s going on? and Hayden apologizes for being distant. Elizabeth says Hayden is allowed to have her own problems, and Hayden wonders how they can be sisters, since Elizabeth is so selfless. Elizabeth must have gotten it from her mother’s side. Hayden asks what’s going on with Franco being committed? Elizabeth puts on a bright face for the boys, but she doesn’t  have to now. How’s she coping? Elizabeth says, it’s hard on the boys, and they have to be kept grounded. Hayden tells her, whatever happens, they’ll be okay. They have an incredible mother. Hayden’s learned everything she knows about motherhood from Elizabeth. Elizabeth says that’s interesting coming from Hayden.

Ava says she told Julian that he’s overreacting. She’s probably dehydrated. Lucas says she’s probably right, but wants to check her out to make sure. She asks if it’s necessary, and he says, best case scenario, she proves his dad wrong. She says she’d never skip an opportunity to do that, and he takes her to an examining room. Julian sees the flowers, and asks if Brad won a pageant. Brad says they were sent to him, and Julian asks, by who? Brad says there was no name, but he’s worried it was Nelle. Julian asks why he thinks Nelle would send him flowers, and Brad says maybe to thank him for his support at her parole hearing. Julian doesn’t think so; the arrangement is too romantic. Brad asks since when is he a flower expert? and Julian says it’s what he would send if he was involved with someone. Is it from Brad’s side piece? Brad asks if Julian thinks he’s cheating on Lucas. He’d never do that. Julian says, some people act careless under stress. He hopes Brad isn’t one of them.

Carly gives Michael her car keys, and says a chat between her and Sasha is long overdue. Sasha tells Michael that she’ll be okay, and Michael tells her to text if she needs anything. Carly says, let’s hope it doesn’t come to that. When he’s gone, Carly tells Sasha, Michael definitely has a type. Sasha says, what’s that? and Carly says Sasha knows damn well. She’s another con artist who took advantage of him. She’s more disappointed than pissed; she though Sasha was different, and she turned out to be wrong. Sasha sits and tells her, go ahead. Say everything she needs to. She can take it, but Carly needs to know she cares about Michael. Carly says she cares about Michael’s bank account, but Sasha says she’s not after Michael’s money. Carly asks how this is different, since she was after Nina’s money. Sasha says Carly has a right to think that. She took advantage of Nina’s trust for her own reasons, none of which are relevant. What matters is that she hurt a good woman. She deeply regrets it, and always will. If it’s any consolation, she chose to come clean to Michael because she didn’t want to move further under false pretenses. Carly says, and honest con, and Sasha says she never asked him to stay. She told him to run for the hills, and Carly says, he should have. Sasha says she didn’t think to thank Carly, and Carly wonders, what for? Sasha says, for Michael to stand by her side after what she did, is a testament to the kind of man Carly raised.

Lucas asks what Ava had for breakfast, and she says, yogurt. He asks if that’s what she usually has, and she says her diet is fine; this isn’t necessary. He says, it’s just a precaution. Based on her vitals, he guesses she is dehydrated, and Ava says, no big deal. Lucas says, it caused her to faint, and Ava says she fainted because of Lucas’s father. She was enjoying a cocktail, and he showed up with bad news. He asks how her drinking is, and she says eight glasses a day, but he says he meant alcohol. She says she might be drinking more martinis lately, and he asks, why? She says she’s been going through a difficult time, and she just found out Ryan killed his cellmate. She’s sick of his obsession with her. He says, it’s distressing, and she says, there’s more. Someone is watching her.

Jax tells Valentin that he’s not welcome, and Valentin tells him to call security. Jax says he’ll be doing the honors himself. Nina says, wait, and he says, don’t tell him… She says she and Valentin are back together. Jax says, after what Valentin did? Valentin says he appreciates Jax’s concern, but he’s misinformed. It was Sasha who lied, not him. Jax doesn’t believe it. There’s no way Sasha could have orchestrated this on her own. Nine says one of her mother’s lawyers was behind it, and a friend helped her fake the DNA tests. Jax asks how she knows Valentin isn’t lying. Valentin says he knew Jax would react this way. Jax says, with concern? and Valentin says he’s trying to control the situation. It’s none of his business. Nina says she has to deliver some files before her layout department leaves, and tells them, try not kill each other. Valentin tells Jax, they have a moment alone. They need to use it wisely. They have an important matter to discuss.

Carly tells Sasha that since she confessed in front of everyone, there’s a good chance she’ll be brought up on fraud charges. Nina says there’s nothing she can do. It’s in Nina’s hands. If that’s what Nina decides, she’ll handle it alone. She won’t drag Michael into her mess. She’s ready to take responsibility, and face the consequences. Carly says, saying it is one thing, living it is another.

Lucas goes to do whatever, and Julian says Ava is still mad. She says, damn right she is, and Julian aks the nurse to give them some space. She leaves, and Ava says, damn right she’s still mad. Julian should have taken her home, not drag her there to be humiliated. Julian says she’s kidding herself. She’s in bad shape, and needs to start taking better care of herself. Lucas brings Neil in. Neil says it’s good to see Ava, but she’s not sure she can say the same. If this is some kind of intervention… Neil says, it’s nothing like that, and Lucas says he saw in her records that Neil was her therapist. He knew Neil was still in the building, and asked him to swing by to see her. Ava says, this is officially ridiculous, and Neil says she fainted. Ryan has a sick fascination with her, and he doesn’t blame her for being unsettled, but he’s in prison. He thought it was over. Julian says, Ava has been on edge. She’s been calling on psychics, and is obsessed with online trolls. Neil asks if she’s drinking more. Sometimes coping mechanisms outlive their usefulness. She says, a dirty martini never outlives its usefulness. Julian says she thinks she’s being watched, and Laura confirmed it. Ava says she is being watched. She could feel it. She sees what’s going on. They think she’s having a nervous breakdown.

Hayden says she’s watched Elizabeth with the boys. It’s changed the way she interacts with kids. She enjoys being around them. Elizabeth says that’s a big change, and Hayden asks if Elizabeth remembers when she gave Cameron and Spencer espresso. Elizabeth asks if Hayden is thinking about trying again. Hayden says she’d rather stay the cool aunt; the cool aunt who’s now more responsible. Elizabeth says they love having her there, and Hayden says, someone had do something about the testosterone imbalance. Elizabeth says, if Hayden changes her mind, she’d make a wonderful mother. Hayden says, that’s sweet, but there’s only one man she’s wanted to have kids with, and he’s not available anymore.

Finn says if Curtis hadn’t found the letter, he’d have never known Hayden lost the baby. Curtis feels bad about how it went down. He knows Finn deserved better. He thinks Hayden didn’t have the strength to tell Finn herself, but Finn says maybe she meant for Curtis to find the letter. Curtis says so he’d deliver it on her behalf, and Finn says, to save herself from the fallout. Curtis wonders, why the subterfuge? Finn says Hayden knew if Curtis told him, he’d stop trying to find them. Curtis asks if Finn thinks she’s lying, and his child is alive.

Robert tells Felicia that he’s sympathetic to Finn’s predicament, but he doesn’t know what he can do. He doesn’t count. Felicia says she’s not asking him to pull rank, but talk to Anna. Convince her to come home. He laughs, and says, trying to convince Anna to do anything is a tall order. Felicia says, if anyone can talk sense into her, it’s him. Robert says, sorry. Before she left, they decided to establish clear boundaries, and not interfere with each other’s lives anymore. Felicia says, all grown up, and Robert says, better late than never. She understands, but just wishes they could do something. She’d hate to see the relationship go south. She knows how it feels to marry someone who wants to save the world. Sometimes the thing you want most, is the very thing you can’t ask for.

Sasha wants Carly to understand how much Michael means to her. When he came into her life, she was already in the thick of it. If they’d met before, she never would have gotten involved in this mess. Carly says, but she did, and Sasha says she’s not asking for Carly’s blessing. She knows better. Carly says Sasha definitely made and enormous mistake, but she’s owning it, and making amends. She’s nothing like Nelle. The first time they really talked, she told Sasha how she came to town to find her mother. Sasha is sorry she let Carly think they had that in common, but Carly says they have more in common than Sasha realizes.

Neil tells Ave, no one is suggesting she has a mental health issue. Ava says they don’t have to. Their looks speak volumes. She’s guessing a car is outside to take her to Shadybrook. Julian says they just want to help, and she says, then listen. She’s in pain. The man who murdered her daughter, killed again, and the monster did it for her – again. If someone wasn’t disturbed by that, they’d be a creepy person. She’s feeling pain that she has every right to feel. She’s sorry, but she’s out of there. She jets, and Julian follows her.

Julian brings Ava home, and asks if she wants him to spend the night. She says, it’s not necessary. Like the trip to the hospital. Julian says she hasn’t been doing well, and she tells him she doesn’t know what to say. She was processing what he told her, and dealing with it. Julian says, clearly, she’s still hurting, and she says, of course (🍷). Him spending the night isn’t going to change that. She needs to move past it, and do it alone. Julian asks what about the person she feels watching her, and Ava says, nothing like an IV to sober you up. She just wants to be alone. Julian says if she changes her mind, he’ll be around, and if she needs anything, call. Ava says, she will, but she won’t. He leaves, and she locks the door, and pours a drink. She goes out on the terrace, and says she doesn’t care what anybody says. She knows they’re out there.

Lucas apologizes for dragging Neil into it, but Neil says he did the right thing. Lucas notices Brad threw the flowers away, and Brad says, they were more trouble than they were worth. Neil says he’ll see them at their appointment tomorrow, and Brad flashes back to Juliann saying Neil will be able to tell if he’s holding something back, and if he’s lying. Brad says, there’s been a change in plans. Lucas isn’t coming.

Carly tells Sasha that she didn’t mention what happened when she first came to Port Charles. It was no smooth reunion with her mother. Sasha came to town as Nina’s daughter; Carly pretended to be a stranger. She resented that her mother had given her away, and was hell bent on destroying Bonnie’s life, piece by piece. Sasha says, her level? but Carly says, much worse. When the truth came out, she had to do damage control, but she’s still standing because she had someone to stand by her and support without judgement. Who is she to criticize Michael standing by Sasha now? Sasha says, wow. She really thought Carly was going to chew her out, and deservedly so. Carly says that would make her a hypocrite. They all make mistakes, some more spectacular than others. They learn and grow from the experience, and she has the feeling Sasha will too.

Jax tells Valentin, save it. Valentin says Jax positioned himself to catch Nina if she fell, but Jax says when he saw her run out of her wedding and beg her to take him away, what reasonable man wouldn’t. Valentin says, they’re back together, and it’s staying that way. He hopes Jax respects his position, and stays out of Nina’s personal life. Nina comes back, and tells Valentin to get them a table. She’ll meet him there.

Ava sits on the couch, and opens a locked box. She takes out her gun.

Neil is sorry Lucas won’t be joining them, but Lucas says he plans to be there. They have a lot to discuss. Neil says he’ll see them tomorrow. When he’s gone, Lucas asks why Brad doesn’t want him to go. Brad says he does, but Lucas says he’s not getting that vibe. Brad says he went to the other session solo, and guesses he’s more protective than he thought. Lucas says he thought it was a good idea. He spoke to Curtis, who said it did wonders for his family. Brad says he doesn’t need wonders. Lucas is wonderful already. His phone dings, and he tells Lucas that he has to get to the lab. He’ll see Lucas later. Lucas looks at the flowers in the trash can.

Carly tells Sasha that she’s not saying all is forgiven, but she’s willing to give Sasha a second chance. Sasha thanks her, and says, it means a lot. Carly tells her, make the most of it. She doesn’t give a third when it comes to her kids. Sasha doesn’t blame her. They’re special people. Michael comes back, and says, Donna scored big time. He loaded up the car. He asks how they’re doing. He doesn’t see chairs tipped. Carly says, not this time. They came to an understanding. It turns out they’re more alike than they thought.

Valentin tells Nina that he’ll wait, but she says she has a couple of things to run by Jax. He leaves, and Jax says he hopes Nina knows what she’s doing. He’s pretty sure they crossed from a professional relationship to friendship, and Nina says she thought so too. He says if she finds herself in a situation again, she can know a friend is there for her. She says she’ll keep that in mind.

Felicia tells Robert that she remembers when she was married to Frisco. There was always some mission he’d take on, and a noble reason why he couldn’t stay at home. There was unspoken tension. The partner who’s gone feels guilty, and the one who’s home feels selfish. The strain destroyed their marriage. Robert says, it worked out for the best. She got her happily ever after with his idiot brother. Felicia says she loves Mac, and wouldn’t trade him for anything, but if Anna doesn’t come home, Finn could find happiness with someone else. Robert says, Hayden? and Felicia says, maybe, but it wouldn’t upset Robert, would it?

Finn tells Curtis, sorry he got dragged into it. Curtis says, it wouldn’t be the first house of cards Hayden built on lies. If it’s true, she used him. Finn asks Curtis to keep it to himself. If Hayden finds out he suspects… Curtis says, she’ll cut and run. Finn says, it’s her way, and Curtis asks, what’s his plan? Finn says, to get to the bottom of it.

Elizabeth hopes she didn’t overstep, and Hayden says she’s happy with family. Elizabeth looks at her phone and says she has to go home. She thanks Hayden for meeting her. It was nice one on one time. They hug, and Elizabeth leaves. Hayden’s phone rings. It’s Finn, who says he needs to see her. It’s important.

Ava tries to sleep, but she’s restless. She puts the gun under her pillow, and lies back down.

Tomorrow, Hayden asks if Curtis knows something she doesn’t, Martin tells Franco to prepare for battle, and Ava tells Julian that he’s always watching.

Below Deck

We backtrack a little with second (and repeat) charter guests Helen and Richard arriving, along with their friends. Captain Lee says Kate will show them around, and they’ll get the party on the road. Ashton says, the girl in the white dress is drunk, and the captain says, she’s hammered. Drunk girl Brandy ends up crashing on a couch before Kate even gets to showing the second bedroom. Kate asks if she wants water, and even though she doesn’t, brings some anyway. In Kate’s interview, she says they have a problem. Yeah, when they’re this bad right out of the gate, it’s probably not up from there. Helen says Richard brought handcuffs just in case, and asks Kate to take a group picture. In Kevin’s interview, he says he was a chef on private yachts, and service needs to reflect the standard he’s putting out, and he thinks it’s lacking. Brandy mumbles unintelligible stuff. In his interview, Ashton says the first charter was smooth, and he has an amazing team, but it’s early in the season. He’s not comfortable yet.

They cruise around a beautiful island. In Kate’s interview, she says she has a list of things to discuss with Kevin. She believes Kevin thinks service is a code word for attention. Kate serves the guests  summer rolls, which I guess are similar to spring rolls. Helen notes that Adrian isn’t there, and in her interview, Kate hopes Helen loves Kevin’s food the same. If he wants attention, she’s got the perfect person. Courtney walks past Brandy, who says she pays for everything, not Jeff (who’s Jeff?), and she wants to know exactly where the boat is going. Courtney just keeps walking, and Brandy says, listen to me. In her interview, Courtney says she’s never seen anything like this before. Frankly, me neither. And I’ve been in some real dives.

Ashton finds Abbi with no headset, and says, Abbi and radios don’t go well together. Simone thinks Kevin doesn’t have a lot going on upstairs. Kevin says the guests are toasted, and everything needs to be extra seasoned. Nothing gets past the palate after the 40th margarita. Helen and Megan go to the bridge to harass Captain Lee. In the captain’s interview, he says, someone bail his ass out of there. There are more fingerprints on his ass than the FBI has. He’s surprised he has any ass left.

Kate tells Helen and Megan, lunch is coming. In Kate’s interview, she’s afraid she’s going to see them giving the captain a BJ next time she goes up. Brandy asks, where are you? to no one. Kevin slices the meat at the table, and everyone chows down as drunk people will. Helen says she’s having a food orgasm. The captain calls the deckhands to get out the tender. He radios Ashton, but gets nothing. He realizes no one is hearing him, and says the mic has been keyed. How many times does he have to say it? In his interview, he says he was crystal clear that they’d experience his wrath if they’re without a radio. It’s aggravating the sh*t out of him. If someone falls overboard or has a heart attack, do they really have time to run to the bridge? If they hold the button, it’s radio silence. No big surprise, it’s Abbi again. In his interview, Tanner says, it’s not that hard, and demonstrates pressing a button.

Kevin says he forgot to get fish for the seafood extravaganza, so he’s not going with the theme. Courtney says she’d want a tower of seafood; all of it. In Kate’s interview, she says she’d use every dish on the boat, and fill them with seafood, but Kevin has decided on a plated meal because he forgot to order it. She tells him that she’s not ready to talk dinner.

Brandy wanders around the boat. She wants her lipstick, and doesn’t know where she’s at. She wonders where her room and luggage are. In Brian’s interview, he says Brandy is imbalanced. He says, If anything, this is going to make him stop drinking… Just kidding. Brandy follows him, and asks where he’s running to. The captain tells the deck crew to drop anchor. He notices Abbi’s wild long hair, and he’s concerned it’s going to get caught in something. He calls the deck crew to the wheelhouse, and tells them, listen to their radios, and demonstrates what keying the mic sounds like. They could be leaning into something, and not know it’s  happening. Abbi tells him that she’s sorry. In her interview, she says she went from never using a radio, to cradling and bottle feeding it, so it doesn’t key in on her, or run away. She swears the radios hate her, and she hates them. Captain Lee says he knows it wasn’t intentional, but it shuts down communication. In his interview, Ashton says, it’s not good. It’s like, rookie.

Simone irons, and Kate is impressed with her skills. In Simone’s interview, she says she loves math, and laundry is like an equation. She loves it, but she’s hoping to be more involved with service. She doesn’t want be a one trick pony. Kevin sings, ideas are flowing to me over and over. Kate asks what ideas, and he admits he doesn’t have many. He’s not going to lie. He has to see what they catch. The captain tells Ashton have Abbi pull her hair back. Kevin tells him, catch fish, and please don’t come back if the guests don’t.

Kate asks Kevin how he started his career, and he says both his father and grandfather were bakers. He went to cooking school because it was all he could do after getting a concussion while playing rugby in university. He tells Kate that his great, great grandad was a chef on the Titanic. Kate asks if he went down on the Titanic, and Kevin says, that’s the story. She says, that’s wild. Ashton asks Abbi to tie her hair back, and as she walks through the galley, Kevin tells her to be more careful. Her hair almost went in the horseradish. In Abbi’s interview, she says she never thought about it. Now everyone is telling her the ship is going to sink because her hair’s too big. It’s ridiculous. The guests are ready to fish. Brandy doesn’t know what going on, but gets in the tender. She tells everyone they’re in Thailand.

Brandy asks if she can go in water. They put a life jacket on her, and another guest joins her, but suggests leaving her there. The captain asks Kevin what the back-up plan is if they guests don’t catch anything. He says, ask Kate. In Kate’s interview, she says she thought Kevin was joking. Even if the guests do catch something, it should be an extra. He has to provide the vaganza. Captain Lee tells Kevin that he’s eating with the guests the next two nights, and sorry to dump the extra load on him. Brandy asks if Brian and Tanner are single, and tells them that she’s available. She almost falls out of the boat. Helen hooks an eel, and Brandy almost gets sick. She says, let him go, and Brian cuts the eel loose. Helen says, it could have been a maki roll. Ashton radios that they’re coming back in ten minutes. Kate asks what they caught, and Ashton says they caught an eel, but let it go. There was nothing else. Kevin wonders what he’s going to do. I used to love eel. Until I saw one playing with a diver in a video. Now I can’t do it. If it wasn’t for hamburgers and sushi (two radically different ends of the spectrum), I’d be a vegetarian.

Back at the yacht, Helen says she caught a five-foot eel, but it was cut loose. She’s sure Kevin could have made it tasty. Abbi tells Tanner that everyone thinks she’s effing weird, and we see clips of her screw ups. Tanner tells her the radio will become second nature. He didn’t know boats at all before he worked on one. He didn’t know how to tie a line. Sometimes, he still doesn’t. In Kevin’s interview, he says he thought they’d catch a bunch of fish, but they caught nothing. He has some snapper, canned crab, and frozen muscles he doesn’t want to use. In her interview, Courtney says, Kevin working out of the deep freezer is not an extravaganza. She eats them bi-weekly, and knows what it is. Captain Lee gets ready for dinner with the guests.

Helen wonders if Kelly, Megan and Brandy are joining them for dinner. She says they’re staying in beachwear. That’s the rule tonight. In his interview, Ashton says, being in a leadership role, he pretty much knows when a member of the crew is taking a dump. Abbi came in bubbly, but her work ethic isn’t there now. From personal experience, he thinks if you lose focus on deck, things get real. Kate sets the table, and asks Ashton if the tackle box is still around. In her interview, Kate says she wants to use everything marine life that they have on the boat. She doesn’t care if it smells like bait. It might be the freshest seafood on the table.

Another drunk guest, Kelly, manages to make it to dinner. In Abbi’s interview, she talks about her boyfriend/captain Patrick, and we see pictures. She thinks her being on the yacht has brought them closer because they realize they miss each other. She and Patrick text. Helen asks where Brandy and Megan are, adding, they’re not committed. Kate says, Brandy is committed to sleeping, and she thinks Megan is in the shower. Kevin is nervous, and Kate suggests he tell the guests about the amazing food he’s prepared. He tells them about the first course of crab cakes, and jets asap. Helen says the crabmeat is good, and Captain Lee says they set the bar as high as they can. He’s not lying. Canned crabmeat was as high as Kevin could go. Abbi has a smoke on deck, and tells Ashton that she feels like she’s not pulling her weight. She wishes they’d seen her on the sailboat. She’s not an idiot; she’s just not accustomed to what they do. Then she gets stressed. In Abbi’s interview, she doesn’t know if she can cut it. It’s different than she thought. It’s not sailing, and not her vibe. Ashton thinks she feels at her best when she’s comfortable. He tells her not to be afraid to mess up. The crew has to be supportive of each other. Megan finally makes an appearance at the dinner table.

Kevin fakes it because he can’t make it. Helen says the prawns are perfect, and raves about the food. In Kevin’s interview, he pats himself on the back, saying, it’s not an extravaganza, but the guests are fine with it. It’s the next best thing. He’s God’s gift to cooking. The crew eats some snapper, and once again, Kevin is praised.

The guests retire, and Kate says, yay. Day one over. The boat is cleaned up, and Ashton asks how Courtney is doing. She says, well, and he quickly moves to asking if she has anyone at home. She says, not a one, and he asks if she’s interested in any of the crew. He gets the same answer. He tells Kate that Tanner has a crush on her. In her interview, Kate says Tanner is cute, and she’s flattered. She’s still got it. The crew turns in.

In the morning, Simone makes a mimosa, but it foams over. I don’t think Brandy has changed her clothes yet. P.U. Simone makes another mimosa, and says, it’s like a science experiment. The guests are up, and Simone is the only one working service. Kevin thinks the guests should have breakfast immediately, and in his interview, he says he doesn’t want the guests waiting on him. Kate dropped the ball. He brings some plates halfway to the deck, and puts them on a table, but Simone says they should be in the drawer (I assume she means a warming tray). She tells Kevin that she has to make coffee, tea, and whatever else they’re asking for, and then clean up. I might add, it’s 8 am, and Helen said they were having breakfast late, at 10. Brandy keeps drinking everyone’s mimosa’s. In Kate’s interview, she says she doesn’t like to be pulled out of bed and rushed to accommodate Kevin’s OCD. Let her have some coffee first. In Simone’s interview, she says, Kevin is unprofessional, and not a team player. If he sees someone struggling, he should help. Kevin wishes they were on the same page. Megan wanders back to the galley, and takes a plate from Simon. Kevin says it’s embarrassing. In his interview, he says, every yacht has a plan for service. Kate just wings it. It’s not necessary for them to follow his direction, but follow some direction. Kate comes in and asks, where’s the fire? Where are the bleeding people? Kevin says Simone isn’t getting the food out, and it’s not rocket science. In Kate’s interview, she wonders why he’s worrying about her department. There’s no hierarchy; they’re different departments. He should stay in his lane. Simone tells Kevin that he’s rude.

Somehow, the breakfast gets served. Kevin thinks they should take a picture of what’s going on, and talk to the stews, so they’re more aware. In her interview, Kate says, mind your own damn business.  She has a photo Kevin can take, and gives the finger. She asks Simone if she smells bad, since she didn’t shower. She thought the boat was going down. Brandy continues to guzzle mimosas. Abby tells Ashton and Kevin and Simone fighting. She says, Simone was doing service, and Helen came into the galley to get silverware. Ashton thinks there’s tension between them; he feel it. Talk about not rocket science. In Kevin’s interview, he says he overreacted with Simone. It’s Kate’s fault, and reflects her leadership. He says he can carry a grudge the whole trip, or bite the bullet and apologize. He tells Simone that he’s sorry. They hug it out, but in her interview, Simone feels like she forgives too easy. Brandy tells Kate, sorry; blub-blub-blub. The water toys go out.

Kevin asks about what the guests wants, and Kate tells him it’s on the pad like he asked. He asks, what’s with the attitude? and Kate said all she told him was it’s on the pad. She didn’t start the morning this way; she’s going with the vibe. Kevin says he apologized, and they’re back on track. Kate says he didn’t apologize to her, and he says, sorry for waking her up, and that she didn’t get to shower. Kate says she’d rather not have a snarky apology. Just do the job without unnecessary drama. In her interview, she says she’s tolerated Kevin’s quirks, and had meetings. She’s pissed, and done playing nice. She’s doing her now. Kate tells Captain Lee about what happened, and the captain says, Kevin needs to stay in his lane. Brandy is passed out on deck. Helen tells Richard to lock her down. They’re not there to babysit. Kate tells Kevin that they’ll talk lunch when he’s ready. Captain Lee points out a beach to Ashton for the picnic. In the captain’s interview, he says there’s a great selection of small beaches that are like private islands. Who the hell doesn’t like a private island?

Kate asks Courtney what the guests are doing; sliding, swimming, drinking? Courtney says, all of the above. Ashton tells Kate they’re loading up supplies, and will come back for the food. Kate says she’ll go over to set the table, so when the food comes, everything will be ready. Is Helen wearing a tiara? It’s 93 degrees, which is probably cool for there. Richard goes down the slide, but sticks on it at the bottom. We all laugh. Kate radios Kevin from the beach, and says the guys are coming back for the food. They’re about to leave, and discover the tender is stuck. In Ashton’s interview, he says, the tide there goes back quickly. He and Brian push, but get nowhere. He says if they can’t get it back in the water, the captain will have his ass. Kate asks if they need help, like she can do something. In Kate’s interview, she says, if they can’t get the tender off the rocks, there’s no picnic. The captain will be pissed, and the guests will be pissed. Abbi is concerned everything is going to be melted, and Kate says they’re in trouble.

Somehow, Ashton and Brian lift the tender up, and get it back into the water. In Ashton’s interview, he says he’s glad Brian was with him. He doesn’t know what he would have done if it was Abbi. Kate is impressed, and thinks it was amazing and sexy. Richard wants to kayak out to the beach. Give him a bag of beer and a kayak, and he’s happy. Brandy has come to for a moment, and Ashton helps her onto the tender. In his interview, he says it’s fine to have fun, but this is on another level. Helen is wearing a tiara.

On the beach, Kate starts serving. Brandy is passing out in her chair, but Helen says, she’s good. Mega moves Brandy’s chair closer to the table, and Helen wipes her face. Megan tries to give her some water, and makes her lie down. Kate approaches Tanner, since he has the most medical experience. In Tanner’s interview, he says he’s been a lifeguard most of his life, and he’s used to seeing intoxicated people, but this is something different. Her safety is his biggest concern. Kate calls Ashton to come back for Brandy. Captain Lee watches through the binoculars, and calls back. He says they have to figure out how to get Brandy off the beach and back there. There’s something obviously wrong. She needs med attention, and needs it fast. Kate tells Brandy that they’re putting her in the kayak. Ashton says it’s rough out there. In Captain Lee’s interview, he says, it’s hard to watch. Now the proverbial sh*t is hitting the proverbial fan. Brandy says, she’s all right… Wait… no.

Next time, Brian breaks something expensive to repair, the captain isn’t getting one of the dinner courses (no doubt because of Kevin’s high standards and not being able to count), and after Abbi gets drunk, she sends a text saying she doesn’t know if she’ll be up by nine.
