What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Carly tells Josslyn that Nell was her kidney donor. Joss gets all emotional. Carly says they can sort it all out later, but the main thing is that Nell has given her the best gift ever. Joss hugs Nell and thanks her.

Paul asks Tracy if something is going on with Dillon. He says Dillon thinks he treated Tracy badly and wants nothing to do with him. Tracy says instead of redeeming himself, and doing what he said he was going to, Paul just ignored things. Paul tells Tracy that Dillon isn’t five and Tracy says Dillon is in trouble and they have to do something.

Nina asks Curtis to find her a baby. Not for a photo shoot, but for her.

Dillon tells Ava that unless something changed in the last hour, Morgan and Kiki are still together. Ava says all that Kiki needs to call it quits with Morgan is Dillon.

Morgan tells Dr. Andre that he’s back and better than ever. He says the combination of meds is perfect and things with Kiki are going great, except for Dillon’s interference.

Jason, who hasn’t been shaving lately and looks like a scruffy older dude, tells Sam he wants to spend the rest of his life with her and she says she’ll marry him.

Ava tells Dillon how excited Kiki was when they had a date. She says it was a relief from the fear for her. Dillon says she seems fine now, but Ava doesn’t think so.

Curtis says he doesn’t think it would be a problem for Nina to get a baby the conventional way now that Franco is out of the picture. Nina says all anyone has to do is google her to find out her baby kidnapping past, but she wasn’t in her right mind when she did it.

Josslyn tells Nell the kidney is working fine and asks if she ever notices it’s missing. Nell tells her not really and she’s glad to know she helped someone. Joss says she’s glad it didn’t come from someone who died, but then she turns to Carly, asking her why she didn’t drop the search like she said she would.

Sam and Jason make goo-goo eyes and love talk.

Carly explains that she started the search because she wanted the donor’s medical history. By the time she agreed to stop the search, Nina had already sent an email to Nell. Michael tells her how he stopped Nell from leaving town, and Josslyn asks why he didn’t tell her. He says if it didn’t pan out, there wouldn’t have been a need. Joss asks Sonny if he knew and she starts to get upset because no one told her anything. She says no one respects her enough to talk to her and runs off.

Tracy tells Paul about Dillon’s STI. Paul’s face is priceless and would make a wonderful meme. She explains it’s treatable and Paul asks why she scared him like that. She tells him because Dillon is making poor choices.

Dillon tells Ava that Kiki is happier with Morgan. Ava says that Morgan tells Kiki he needs her and she feels sorry for him, but that’s not a relationship. She’s not ready to admit it, but Kiki is ready to cut Morgan loose. Dillon asks if Ava is looking to hook up with Morgan.

Kiki is in the MetroCourt parking garage. She has a flat tire and can’t get anyone on the phone to help.

Morgan babbles to Andre about Kiki. Andre tells him to drop the act. He says he’s not insinuating Morgan is manic, but he thinks there’s something Morgan dreads confronting. He asks Morgan to be honest. Morgan says he’s scared to death.

Nell asks to talk to Josslyn. Carly tells her to give it a shot, but Joss is stubborn. Nell says she’s not the only one. Carly apologizes to Jax and hopes Nell can get through to Josslyn.

Nell approaches Josslyn. Joss says she figured they’d send Michael, but Nell says she volunteered and they both have the most at stake. Josslyn says she can’t believe no one told her anything, even after Nell got there. Nell says everything they did was to protect her and spare her pain, and what if Nell had been lying? Joss tells her not to lump Michael in with the others, and Nell says he’s the one who talked her into staying because he loves Joss so much. She says even her family’s mistakes were because they love her.

Ava says all that is is history and this has nothing to do with her and Morgan. She says all Morgan will bring Kiki is pain, if he doesn’t get her killed. Dillon thinks Ava had an agenda in wanting to hire him and is using him to separate Kiki and Morgan. He tells her to go to hell. Does this mean he won’t be taking the art photos?

Morgan tells Andre about Kiki thinking he was off his meds. He wonders if he’ll be able to tell if he slips into a manic state. Andre says he can’t guarantee he’ll never go to the hospital again and patients can go through changes where medication needs to be adjusted. Morgan says he needs to be out in the world with his family and with Kiki.

Kiki tries to change her own tire and only makes things worse. Dillon comes along and says he’d thought she claimed that she could change one. She says she meant she was good at supervising. He takes over.

Curtis suggests Nina get a lawyer to broker a private adoption. Nina says no mother in their right mind would consider her a good candidate. She starts to get weepy, saying she is a good candidate and would protect a baby with her life. She begs Curtis to help her.

Sam wants to know if Jason asked her to marry him because she’s pregnant. He says partly, but he knew he was going to do it when they signed the divorce papers. He tells her he knows she’s worried, but what if everything is okay? He says he wants to face both the good and bad times together with her. Because he’s totally fictional.

Michael asks what’s up with the tension between Jax and Sonny. Sonny says he has a bad feeling about Jax protesting knowing who the donor was. Michael says maybe he was worried about Josslyn. Sonny tells him that Jax said he has his own reasons, but he wonders what they are.

Josslyn comes back in and apologizes for getting so mad. Carly and Jax tell her they love her.

Paul and Tracy argue over who’s the worst parent. Paul wonders how he was supposed to bond with Dillon, when he they didn’t even speak until Dillon was 20. Tracy says he could have reached out too, and wonders why he never brings up his other children. He gets angry and tells her not to bring up Susan. He says Susan has no idea what he’s done for her.

Dillon asks Kiki if she did this on purpose to have a chance encounter with him. They talk about when they got together. He tells her he’s not good at hiding his feelings and has to tell her something. He recounts Ava’s visit.

Andre tells Morgan he’s in no danger of going back to the hospital and he’s just learning to deal with his illness. He stresses the importance of continuing with therapy and meds, and says maintaining doesn’t mean perfect, but Morgan has to learn as he goes.

Nina says maybe Curtis could offer some money to someone who can’t take care of their baby. He’s like, you want to buy a baby?

Sam worries about the baby not being okay, and Jason tells her not to think about that. Too late. The hospital is calling. She asks Finn about her test results and breathes a sigh of relief that the baby is okay. She and Jason hug. he makes her promise to stop protecting him

Dillon says Ava can tell he still has feelings for Kiki and Kiki says maybe she was giving off vibes of her own. Morgan calls. Kiki makes plans to meet him. Dillon says it sounds like they’re doing well and Kiki says they are, so Ava had no right to drag him into this. Dillon says he told Ava where to go.

Ava finds out she doesn’t have malaria. She sees Morgan coming out of his appointment. Morgan is having a hard time getting phone reception. He puts down his backpack and walks away. I smell what’s coming. Seriously though, this would be like walking away from your purse. Not a good idea.

Nina is aghast about buying a baby. She says she’s talking about someone who needs a loving home for their baby without going through the formalities. Curtis says he’s sorry. He feels badly about her backstory getting in the way because he can relate, but he’s not buying her a baby. She says she’ll do it herself then.

Michael thanks Nell for being cool and she says shes never been prouder of doing anything. Josslyn asks her to stay. Nell says she has to get back to work, but she’ll keep in touch. Carly tries to give her some money for her trouble, but she refuses. Nell promises to send her medical records and and says that she wants what’s best for Josslyn. Sonny gets a weird look on his face. Sonny, the man of a thousand hmm… faces.

Jason wants Sam to promise to tell him if something is wrong and he’ll do the same even if he thinks it might hurt her. He says they have to do it right this time. They kiss.

Tracy apologizes to Paul, saying it’s not her place to judge. Paul says he’s not brushing off her concerns, but young men are known to sleep around, and hopefully Dillon has learned his lesson. Tracy suggests a lunch with the three of them. Paul tells her that despite how it seems, he loves his children and there’s nothing he wouldn’t do for them.

Dillon tells Kiki as long as she’s happy with Morgan, he’s happy for her. She says she is and he says that’s all that matters. As usual, Kiki is looking fabulous, with these earrings that look like liquid silver, a cute embroidered spaghetti strap top and distressed jeans. I’m very impressed.

While Morgan is away from his backpack, Ava messes with his meds.

Nina tells Curtis about how badly she wants to be a mother. Curtis doesn’t want her to go it alone and says if she wants a baby so bad, he’ll find her one. I like Curtis.

Michael says he wants to keep in touch with Nell too. Nell says she has to catch the bus. He offers to drive her, but she says she needs to process everything and doesn’t want to lose it at the bus station. She hugs everyone good-by.

Sneaky Jax is on the phone saying Nell isn’t a threat and doesn’t know how Josslyn got the kidney. He says she’s leaving town, so it won’t be a problem. Her contact with Carly will be minimal.

Meanwhile, Carly and Josslyn ask Nell if she’ll stay for a while.

Tomorrow, Lulu is ready to get pregnant (omg, it’s like babyworld on this show right now), Alexis goes before the bar, and Laura and Tracy bond.

The Haves and the Have Nots

Benny and David struggle over the gun. Mitch runs up and grabs Benny off of David. David and Benny exchange words as Mitch hangs on to Benny. Benny says a lot about Veronica and David calls him a child, telling him the phones are the least of his worries. David asks if Benny remembers the car and the cocaine. I assume he’s referring to War being set up, in which case Benny wouldn’t have a clue, which he doesn’t. Mitch finally gets Benny to go inside, although he’s yelling at David the whole way.

David lost his keys in the tussle and Mitch asks David if he’s all right. David tells him to stay away. Mitch tells him David needs to hear what he has to say. He finds David’s keys and makes him listen. He tells David to let it go and turn the phones back on because he’s headed down the wrong road. David tells him both he and Benny need to leave town because he’s unleashing hell on them tomorrow. Mitch tells him how wrong he is and that his phone is ringing, in his car. He gives David the keys, saying the phone call might change his mind.

David answers his phone. It’s Mama Rose. She tells him that they’re right behind him. David asks what’s going on. Rose says the guy in front of him is Mitch Malone, as in her grandson. David says he had no way of knowing that. Rose says Mitch wants to make his own way and is trying to walk the straight and narrow, and he doesn’t involve himself with the family unless he needs them. She tells David she knows Benny is banging his wife, but he needs to leave them alone and get the phones back on. David says okay and Rose tells him to have a good night.

David calls Oscar and tells him to turn the phones back on – now. Oscar, calling himself Brandon, makes a phone call to get the phone service back. David leaves the tow yard and Mitch smiles. I like Mitch. He’s probably the most likable guy on this show.

Erika calls Candace, who is still staking Oscar out. She says her mark date cancelled and asks if she should come back, but Candace tells her to go to the hotel bar where David should be showing up for a drink. Candace tells her what she thinks David would like and that he loves a damsel in distress. She tells Erika to call Lee and have him make her cry. Candace says if David offers her something, she’s got him hooked, but don’t accept his initial offer. Erika says it’s like old times, but bigger fish. Candace adds that she should wear something yellow on her second date because David likes southern charm. Not the show. I’m thinking that Candace should be a little more specific. Nothing like a bright yellow bandage dress says “the South.”

Hannah keeps calling Candace and Candace finally picks up. Hannah tells her Quincy Jr. is still at the hospital. She tells Candace that they’re getting ready to put him in foster care and asks if it’s what she wants. Candace hangs up and Hannah calls again. Candace throws the phone and Hannah only gets her voicemail. If I had a quarter for every time someone asked, “Are you sure?” on tonight’s episode, I could probably get a small latte.

Benny asks Mitch who he thinks he is. Mitch tells him the phones are coming back on and Benny says he doesn’t hear them ringing. Benny keeps talking about how he won the fight and Mitch tells him sometimes all you need is a conversation. Suddenly, the phones start ringing off the hook. Benny is back in business! Benny wants to know what Mitch did, and Mitch says he just talked to David. He adds it must have been the ass beating Benny gave him and everything is all happy.

Lee and Erika wait for David. Lee is impatient and Erika reminds him that if all works out, she’ll pay him, and he is an actor in training. David enters the bar and Lee starts an argument with Erika. They act like he’s her lover and she just found out he’s married. She tells him to go back to his wife. He leaves and Erika begins to cry.

David approaches Erika with a napkin and she blows him off, walking to another part of the bar. She calls Candace, pretending she’s calling her mother. Candace asks if Erika was mean and when Erika tells her yes, Candace tells her to go back and apologize. She also tells her that Oscar seems to have a family. She checked out the mailbox and says his name is Brandon and his life looks like a storybook. She’s going to turn it into a nightmare, but not tonight.

Commercial break with important information – If Loving You Is Wrong is back on September 13 at 9 pm. It looks like Randall gets imprisoned in a box. Interesting. And a new Tyler Perry show, Too Close To Home, is debuting on TLC August 22, 9 pm. It looks pretty good.

Nosy neighbor Gladys Kravitz Pearl is poking around Candace’s property. Hannah is there and asks what Pearl is up to. Pearl says walking her dog. Hannah points out that she has a leash, but no dog. Pearl says the dog died, but she still walks with the leash. It’s creative if nothing else. Suddenly, Pearl says she smells something foul and that she’ll have to call the city. I guess Quincy is starting to stink. She asks if Hannah has a key and Hannah says she’s going to have to wait for Candace.

Pearl tells Hannah that the man never did come out of Candace’s house, casually mentioning that her husband was a police officer and her son is also. She shows Hannah a picture of Quincy taken by the security camera, and Hannah says he’s Quincy Maxwell. She asks if Pearl is sure Candace let him in. Pearl says he went in and a white man came out and she thinks Quincy caught them doing something. Pearl has to go; her ride to bridge or Bingo or whatever she does is there. Candace drives up.

Hannah asks Candace what she has to do to get Quincy Jr. Candace says there’s nothing she wants from Hannah. Hannah tells her about Pearl having a picture of Quincy and begs Candace to give her Quincy Jr. She tells Candace she has $866 to her name and Candace says she’ll take it. Then she tells Hannah it won’t even buy her a purse. Hannah asks if she’ll call and Candace says she wants more. She hands her back the money, saying Hanna has nothing to offer her. Hannah pleads with her and Candace tells her to get off the property.

Candace tells Hannah to wait and says there is something she can do – tell Benny to sue the Cryers. She says if Hannah tells Benny to sue, she’ll bring Hannah her son. Hannah wonders why Candace cares and she says they should pay for Wyatt hitting her brother. Hannah argues with her and refuses to do it. Candace says she doesn’t get Quincy Jr. then. Hannah asks who Candace is and says she’s done. Candace asks if she promises, since she’s said that before.

Hannah tells Candace she’ll never understand what it’s like to be a mother who has hope for her child and that Quincy Jr. is precious and innocent. Candace tells her good-by and goes inside. I just have to mention that for someone who has no money, Hannah is wearing a gorgeous blouse that looks expensive. Maybe Kathryn gave it to her.

Lloyd visits Jim in his cell. He tells Jim that Candace got all the money in cash, but some of the board members aren’t thrilled. Jim says he and Kathryn will handle it. Lloyd adds that Candace falsified some documents and they’d wanted to call the police because Benny’s signature doesn’t match. Jim says this is even better. Lloyd is to tell Candace they want the money back in cash in 24 hours or they’ll call the police.

Hannah visits Kathryn. Kathryn says she’s amended her will and wants Hannah to read something. Hannah asks if she’s dying and if the cancer has come back, but Kathryn says she’s fine. Hannah is like, what then? Kathryn asks if Hannah has a will, and when she says no, tells her that she should. Hannah says she doesn’t have anything and Kathryn tells her she’ll need to make a will after she reads this. She’s left Hannah five million dollars and won’t take no for an answer. Hannah says she hopes Kathryn outlives her and they both talk about the drama and stress in their lives. Hannah thanks her and says it’s the kindest thing anyone has ever done for her.

Kathryn asks Hannah to drop in on Wyatt while she’s in the hospital and Hannah says she’ll call. Hannah says she has a favor to ask Kathryn. She says if she goes to jail, will Kathryn get her out? Kathryn asks if she’s planning on committing a crime and Hannah says yes. Kathryn wants to know what’s going on and Hannah says, sorry, and jets.

Jeffrey visits Candace, surprising her. She asks if he’s been crying and he admits he has. She asks if it’s Wyatt, and Jeffrey says he’s okay and that he didn’t die. He asks what she’s been crying about and she asks what’s the point in talking about it? He suggests she might feel better if she does. She says she loves her son and she’s afraid. She says she can’t bring him to her home because his father is dead and buried in the backyard, and what if he wants to play out there? She says she can’t leave him with Hannah because Hannah isn’t right. Jeffrey says Hannah walks in kindness, but Candace says not with her. Jeffrey says people change and Candace asks if his mother has. He says they’re two different people – his mother is a hater and Hannah comes from a pure place. Candace says she’s giving Quincy Jr. up for adoption. She says she’s messed up and broken and conned too many people. Someday it’s all going to catch up and it’s starting to catch up already.

Jeffrey asks if she’s sure (ka-ching!) that she can’t leave Quincy Jr. with Hannah. Candace asks if he’d leave her son with his mother. He tells Candace he’s moving back in with her. Candace suggests that he didn’t put the knife in deep enough. Jeffrey says he didn’t mean it; he just snapped. After telling him to snap again, Candace asks what they’re going to do. Jeffrey tells her she’s a bad bitch and she always has the answers. Candace says this bad bitch is tired and running out of answers and time.

Hannah comes down the hospital stairs with Quincy Jr. and the biggest teddy bear I’ve ever seen. She runs out the door with him.

Next time, Veronica tries to seduce David, Candace insists that Jeffrey sue the Cryers, and Hannah brings Quincy Jr. to Kathryn, who finds the whole thing hysterically funny.

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

Just a little request. I love it that anyone reads this and especially welcome comments, but please, don’t put the link to your how-I-made-money-on-Google site or whatever multi-level marketing you’re into. A link to a blog I can understand, but the scam of the week is not going to be given airtime. K? Thx.

General Hospital

Jason tells Sam to face her fear and not put off dealing with it. She admits she’s afraid, but shouldn’t be, and tells him she’s pregnant.

Kiki has asked Ava to meet her at the restaurant. Kiki tells her that she supports Morgan completely in telling Ava to back off. Ava asks if Kiki is ready to spend her life with Morgan, because that’s what he has in mind.

Nina apologizes to Carly for contacting Nell, but Carly wants to thank her. Nina says that’s a change, since people don’t usually thank her for disrespecting their boundaries.

Jax sees Nell in the hospital with Sonny. He says he thought she was leaving town and she tells him she was, but Michael stopped her. Now she wants answers, for them and for herself.

Sam thought she had fertility problems and couldn’t get pregnant. Now she’s kicking herself for not modifying her behavior. Like she’s an alcoholic or something. She tells Jason that if she was exposed to malaria, the baby could have it too.

Ava says Morgan knocked on her door, not the other way around. She says she wants what’s best for Kiki and Morgan is only interested in what she can do for him.

Dillon and Morgan meet in the elevator going up to the MetroCourt. Morgan thinks Dillon is there to see Kiki and says he’s pathetic. Dillon asks if he’s so pathetic, why is Morgan threatened by him? Touche.

Curtis joins Carly and Nina. Nina tells Carly that he should be the one she’s thanking. Carly thanks him and he tells her to keep them posted about Josslyn (whose name I’ve been spelling wrong). She leaves and Curtis tells Nina that he wishes he could make every beautiful woman that happy to see him.

Jax is concerned about Nell and sorry that things got heated. She tells him Michael explained that the extended family doesn’t always get along and he says that’s an understatement. Sonny says they all want what’s best for Josslyn. Monica joins them and suggests they get started with the tests, taking Nell back with her. Sonny tells Jax he doesn’t like him much, but admits he’s a good father. He doesn’t understand why Jax doesn’t want to know if Nell is the donor though. Jax says if Nell turns out to be the donor, there’s no going back and they’ll have to tell Josslyn. He’s concerned about how she’ll react.

Curtis and Nina discuss his investigation into bad plastic surgery. She tells him his report looks great and he says he’s two for two now. She says they’ll see if he finishes as strong as he started.

Kiki blows Ava off. Ava’s phone rings. She sees Dillon and Morgan walk in together. Dillon orders coffee and flirts with the server. Morgan gives Kiki flowers. He says he has something to talk to her about and she says ditto. Dillon starts to leave and literally runs into Kiki, spilling the coffee all over himself.

Carly shows up at the hospital. She tells Jax that she’s considered his point of view, but if it turns out Nell is the donor, they’ll have to tell Josslyn. He tells her she’s jumping the gun. Nell comes out and says Monica is putting a rush on the results and everyone should stay put. Carly thanks Nell, but Nell says she’s doing it for herself too.

Carly says they haven’t really had a chance to know Nell and they sit to talk. Nell says she’s an only child, but she always loved kids, which is why she’s studying to be a teacher. Monica comes out with the fastest test results ever. That does it. I’m making friends with a hospital’s chief-of-staff.

Jason tells Sam to quit reading pamphlets and worrying about problems that don’t exist yet. He says they’ll wait for the test results and plan accordingly. She says she knows Jason is scared. He says any man with sense would be afraid, but he loves her and they’re going to deal with it together. Where are guys like this IRL?

The server goes to get Dillon another coffee. Morgan acts stupid like Dillon did this on purpose, and Dillon says he’d better go change before work. Kiki tells Morgan that she literally didn’t see that coming. Morgan makes a snarky remark about coming up in the elevator with Dillon. Ava says she’s got to run and tells Morgan she thinks he left something out when repeating their conversation to Kiki. Kiki asks Morgan what’s up with that and he says he told Ava that wants to marry Kiki.

Sam says she’d wanted a baby, but didn’t dare hope. She was about to tell Jason when he got sick. She says when Finn told her about the possible complications, she went from ecstatic to terrified in a heartbeat. She apologizes for not telling Jason, and says she panicked. She says she made the same mistake in not telling him about Danny and how different their lives would have been if she had. He shows her his hand and says the next time she panics, to grab it. He’s killing me here.

Michael and Sabrrrina are sitting on a bench outside the coffee shop. Michael wants to know why Sabrrrina didn’t tell him that Joe gave her and Teddy a ride home from the hospital. Paranoid much?  Joe comes by and asks if everything is okay.

Monica says the sonogram shows that it’s a strong possibility Nell is the donor. They need a kidney biopsy to be sure, but it’s very invasive and the risks are high. She leaves them to talk about it. Nell says she wants to do it, but the rest think it’s asking too much. She says she wants to know if what happened to her did some good. She steps away, saying she needs time alone.

Carly, Jax and Sonny discuss the possible biopsy. Sonny confesses that he had his people check out her story and thinks Nell is the donor. Carly asks what he found out.

Nina says Curtis’s investigation practically writes itself and she should give him a byline. He says all he does is investigate things and she tells him not to sell himself short.

Ava sees Dillon changing clothes and says she needs to talk to him about something.

Kiki asks Morgan if he’s serious. Morgan says while he loves Kiki, he just said that about getting married to get a rise out of Ava. (Hmm…I dunno about that) He adds that he did want Ava to know Kiki will always be the one for him. The server comes out asking Kiki to please get back to work. Oh, that’s right, she actually has a job there.

Sonny checked out people who have illegally harvested organs within a certain radius. He found a clinic that was shut down a year ago and confirmed that it was operating during Josslyn’s transplant. Carly thanks him and he says he’d do anything for her. Jax says he was hoping to avoid this and wonders how they’ll tell Joss.

Sabrrrina tells Michael about Joe’s fellowship. Joe says he’ll also be doing surgery. Michael’s phone rings. Carly tells him to pick Joss up from camp and bring her to the hospital, and she’ll explain later. He jets. Sabrrrina tells Joe she should go too, and he tells her this has to stop. He says she’s been running hot and cold with him since he arrived. He tells her that he’s not trying to ruin anything for her, but he’s family and they need to be honest with each other.

Carly tells Jax they’ll make everything okay for Josslyn. She thinks Joss will be grateful. Sonny says maybe telling Joss isn’t her call and she might want to consider someone else. Nell comes back. Carly says not to be nervous about the biopsy and they have something else to ask her.

Sam tells Jason she’s mad at herself because she wasted so much time worrying. She tells him about getting sick while she was talking to Elizabeth and how Elizabeth encouraged her to tell him. He says maybe the past got in the way of her being honest.

Nina tells Curtis that what he does is important and it matters. She says Josslyn has a healthier future now. He says he did that because she paid him and if there’s a hero, it’s her. She says no, it should be Carly. She says Carly is an amazing mother and she likes to think she would have been the same way. Curtis says just because being a mother wasn’t in the cards for her doesn’t mean she won’t have a productive life. Thank you.

Ava tells Dillon that his work for Crimson is impressive.and she’d like him to take pictures of some of the art pieces at the gallery. He agrees. She says she was afraid he’d turn her down flat because of Kiki.

Morgan tells Kiki about some plans for the coffee shop, like frequent buyer cards and events. She’s a little taken aback because of the way he’s rattling on. He asks if she thinks he’s being manic again.

Carly explains to Nell what Sonny did. She says it’s all the proof they need. Jax thanks her for saving their daughter. Nell asks if they’re sure it’s enough, and Carly says it is for them. Nell asks Carly what she wanted to ask. Carly says she wants to tell Josslyn that Nell is the donor, and Joss is on her way there. She says she hopes Nell is okay with that, and Nell says sure. Josslyn arrives and asks why everyone is there.

Nina says she has another job for Curtis. She says she’ll give him an expense account, OT, and when it’s over, he gets a bonus; money is no object. She wants him to find her a baby.

Kiki tells Morgan she’s glad he has something he’s passionate about besides her. Not that the latter is a bad thing, but it’s good he has an outside project. She goes back to work because she finally remembers she has a job.

Ava tells Dillon that she was afraid he wouldn’t want to work with her because things didn’t work out with Kiki. He says that’s between him and Kiki. She says they clearly still have a connection, but Dillon says Kiki has a stronger one with Morgan. Ava says if he’s still interested, she knows he has a chance.

Joe says he wants to be in Teddy’s life to give him the support that he couldn’t give to his brother. He says that means being in her life too, and he needs her trust.

Joss is surprised to see Nell, who said she was leaving town. Nell tells her she had a good reason to stay. Joss tells Carly to just say it. Carly tells Josslyn that Nell is her kidney donor and saved her life. Everyone tears up.

Jason tells Sam that he made promises he couldn’t keep when they got married, and it was his fault that he chose to live a certain way. She says she accepted it, but Jason says it kept them apart and their family should have been his priority. She says the baby might not live to be born, but he says the baby is there now, and he’ll do better in keeping his promises. He asks her to marry him.

Tomorrow, Paul tells Tracy that she’s scaring him, Ava encourages Dillon to romance Kiki, and Josslyn does not take the news of her kidney donor well. I realize I’m no longer a teenager, but I fail to see what’s bad about this, especially since it concerns her health.

The Real Housewives of the OC

Kelly visits Tamra. I think Tamra invited her over to have an excuse to drink. OMG – Kelly’s blouse is everything! Kelly tells Tamra about her meeting with Shannon. In her interview, Tamra says she thinks Shannon is good at heart, but has had issues with everyone and we flash back to one of them. Kelly tells her about how she thinks Shannon set her up at the party, but Tamra wonders what would have been in it for her. Tamra adds fuel to the fire by saying that Shannon’s friend, Nina, said that Kelly gives BJs to pay her bills. I’d pontificate on how we’re all prostitutes in some way, but there isn’t enough time.

Tamra is having a last hurrah party, since both she and Meghan have to stop their partying ways for a while. Kelly helps her with Japanese place cards (why Japanese? who knows) and I get confused, wondering why she didn’t involve Jules, who is Asian. Then I remember that Jules isn’t on this show. All these women blend in together after a while.

Vicki and Briana sit down for a meal with Briana’s terror of a toddler. Briana talks about the house renovations and Vicki talks about buying a boat, since Don got the boat in the divorce. Vicki says she wants a husband to do things with. Uh…you don’t need to have a husband for that. She’s bummed about starting over again, and thinking about someone younger this time. Briana suggests she get back with Don, but that’s a no. I don’t care if this sounds old school, but I think any man who wants spousal support from a woman, especially when he makes good money, is a real tool and should be avoided at all costs.

Tamra calls Meghan to make sure she’s okay with the guest list. Meghan is skeptical about inviting Vicki, although she was okay with it the day before. Tamra offers to un-invite Vicki. This seems to be a thing on these shows. I swear, if anyone ever un-invited me to something, it would be the last time we spoke. Meghan decides she’s not coming, which is really lovely since she’s co-hostess. Tamra says she’ll cancel the party and Meghan acts like a hormonal a-hole who can’t decide what her name is, much less who should be invited to anything.

Heather is just home from DC and goes directly to work on The Doctors, where she’s doing some hosting. For a moment, I think she’s talking about the old soap opera and wonder how it could still be on the air. Why are they allowing someone who does leech treatments host this show? She talks about how she and Terry call themselves Mr. and Mrs. Guinea Pig, and shows a picture of them steaming their private areas. Who does that? Better still, who takes a picture of it?

Meghan is working with one of Shannon’s many doctors, Dr. Tim. She’s pretty uncomfortable with bloating and cramps, so she’s hoping to find some holistic relief. He is a real doctor, but he starts talking about the energy field and whatnot. Shannon comes in to observe. She says Dr. Tim deals with both Western and Eastern sports medicine. We see a clip of Shannon seeing him and her crying, “Ow!” like she did during Dr. Moon’s cupping treatments, which irritates me to no end. Her voice hits the same nerve as a piercing bark does and I’m guessing that she must be made out of tissue paper.

Apparently, Dr. Tim was at the 70s party, so we get to see that again too. Tamra comes in and Meghan says she wanted to do baby steps in being friendly with Vicki and then says she thinks Vicki should come to the party. I can’t take much more of her mood swings. Shannon goes blah-blah-blah about negativity. In her interview, Shannon says she’s immovable on not wanting to be in Vicki’s sphere. Tamra brings up Shannon inviting Vicki to the 70s party and tells her not to shame others for doing the same thing she did, adding that you can’t hold on to sh*tty feelings forever. In her interview, Tamra schools us in forgiveness. Shannon can’t seem to understand why everyone is trying to be friendly with Vicki again. Maybe because you all have to be on the show together? She says she’s done. For all her spiritual/outer space thinking, she’s basically a weird mean girl. I’m pretty disappointed since I liked her a lot last season.

Vicki visits Kelly. She tells Vicki to pick out some wine and we see that Kelly has a humongous blinged out corkscrew. And by humongous, I mean it’s like 3 feet tall. Kelly relays what Tamra told her about Nina calling her a prostitute. She texted Shannon about getting a lawyer for a defamation case, but didn’t hear anything back. People love to throw the d-word around, but I think something like that is pretty hard to win. You actually have to prove you were hurt in some way, and not just your feelings.

Shannon calls Tamra about the text. At least Tamra admits she’s the one who told Kelly. She tells Shannon that Kelly thinks she was set up. Shannon is pissed that Tamra is defending Kelly. Tamra says she’s not going to battle about it. In her interview, Tamra says Shannon is victimizing herself again and I totally agree.

Vicki talks about how rude David was to her at the party and wonders if she did something to prompt it. Kelly thinks both Shannon and David are crazy. Vicki says if David is ever in a room with her again, she’s going to tear him up. She says he was a little frightening and he hurt her with what he said. Kelly is disgusted that anyone would say something so vicious about her when she has a daughter who could get wind of it.

Oh, okay, the party is at a Japanese restaurant, which explains the place cards. Granddaughter momma Sarah comes along with Tamra to prepare. This girl looks almost exactly like Lisa Kudrow and every time she’s on the show, I think that’s who she is at first. Tamra has made origami cranes to put near each place card and a lovely origami penis to sit beside Meghan’s. She suggests keeping Shannon as far away from Vicki as possible. Vicki shows up with a peace offering gift for Meghan and in her interview, Meghan says she wishes Vicki had stayed home because Meghan is such an endearing soul.

Shannon and Heather ride over together. In her interview, Kelly says she had to restrain herself from slapping Shannon across the face and I know the feeling. I want to slap her every time she says, “Ow!” Meghan’s actual fertilization or whatever is tomorrow and they discuss the procedure while they all drink like fish. Kelly brings up having a psychic reading and we flash back to the disaster from last year.

In her interview, Meghan is pissed because Kelly is friendly with Vicki. I guess Kelly should only be friends with who Meghan wants to be friends with, since we’re 14 years old. She toasts to Tamra and thanks her for putting the party together. Kelly talks to Meghan about what Nina said. Meghan says she’s not making sense and sounds like a broken Tourettes record. (Um…isn’t that sort of like calling someone retarded? Not too insensitive.) Shannon says that Nina never said Kelly was a prostitute. To her credit, Meghan interjects that she heard it, which I’m sure annoys Shannon even more. Kelly suddenly starts listing her own accomplishments, including a college education, like she’s reading her resume. Shannon asks if Kelly is going to start yelling at her again. Kelly tells her to STFU and calls her something that was bleeped and I wasn’t looking, so I couldn’t lip read either.

Time stops. Kelly says what Nina said about her is defamation of character. Meghan tries to diffuse things, and Kelly tells her wait until she has child and she’ll look at things differently. Tamra gets involved and Kelly calls her a dumb f–k. Heather gets up, saying this is not okay and she’s not doing this. She tells Kelly she’s probably a good person, but her behavior isn’t okay and tells her to leave. When Kelly is like huh? since it’s not Heather’s party, Heather says she’ll leave. Tamra follows her. Heather tells Tamra she never wants to see Kelly again. Heather starts going on about who said what and where and ends up wagging her finger in Vicki’s face. Yes, you read that right. Vicki wasn’t even involved.

Meghan tells Sarah that this isn’t the Kelly she knows and she obviously can’t control herself. Kelly has joined the group outside, telling them she’s only upset with Shannon’s friend and she’s sorry she name called. She goes back in. Tamra tells Shannon that Kelly is in pain and she can see it in Kelly’s eyes, but Shannon says she only sees evil. Oddly enough, Tamra is the only one making sense. She asks Shannon if she has any compassion and Shannon says she’s learned how to avoid getting hurt, but Tamra “isn’t there yet.” So glad to hear that Shannon has arrived and is now perfect. She says it’s not Tamra’s responsibility to take care of other people’s problems. In her interview, Shannon says that Kelly has attacked her three times – three strikes and you’re out. How original.

Heather calls Terry up from the car, bawling like she’s a toddler. Please. She says she doesn’t want anyone to ever see her with Kelly. Back at the restaurant, Kelly does an imitation of Heather for Tamra and Vicki, saying in her interview that Heather managed to make it all about her. By God, she’s right.

Next time, Meghan gets fertilized, Heather lectures Tamra, Kelly and Meghan talk, Shannon and David renew their vows, we see Shannon with no makeup, and I get scared.

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

All I have to say about this season of MasterChef is, if by some fluke, Nathan wins, I’m never watching this show again.

This summer, TV watching has felt somewhat like when I worked in accounting and cash management. Most of the time, it was non-stop work, but there were always those couple of days out of the month where there wasn’t much to do and I’d catch up on personal phone calls. Most of the summer has been that couple of days.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey

I have no idea what’s going on with this show. It was supposed to air at 8 pm and tennis was on. I repeatedly checked throughout the hour and it was still tennis. Or talking about tennis. Now I put it on at 8:50 and the show is already in progress and I don’t have a clue how long it’s been on. I’m also annoyed because this messes up my watching Return to Amish and Mary is hosting Christmas dinner. I could use a little Christmas, since it’s 110 degrees out.

Ok, I was able to catch the beginning the next time they aired it, and Dolores’s dog is having kidney issues. She gives ex-husband Frank a list of house reconstruction demands. She’s hoping to be able to pay him back for the years of his support by opening her own gym. They’ve owned gyms together before, but this time it’s all on her. He tells her to come by later so they can talk over the plans.

Melissa’s kids get ready for a fashion show at NY Fashion Week. In her interview, Melissa talks about how hard it is juggling work with the family. She tells Joe #2 that she invited Teresa to the show. They discuss how the Melissa/Teresa relationship is going. Melissa says she’ll feel like they’re really friends when she can disagree with Teresa without ducking. Joe tells her to just tell Teresa that she’s being a pita when she is because that’s what he does. She wisely responds that he can get away with it being Teresa’s brother.

Boring Jacqueline family stuff, with Siggy co-starring. In her interview, Jacqueline talks about how she’s glad Ashley is living at home. They talk about Melissa’s store opening and the rebuilding of Jacqueline and Teresa’s friendship. Siggy suggests she take baby steps and I think of Bill Murray in What About Bob?

Jacqueline visits Chris at work. He tells her to remember what Teresa and Joe #1 are going through when they get together. He says they might have underlying stress, so just forget the past and blow off anything weird. She says it will be interesting to see if the friendship chemistry is still there. What I don’t get is why everything has to be such a big deal? I have a lot of friends, but only several close friends. It’s not like you have to be conjoined twins with everyone.

Siggy has to take her daughter’s phone away. It’s the second time she’s gotten in trouble with it at school. She gives Sophie a lecture on responsibility and rules and how you need good grades to get a decent job. Here’s where I came in the first time.

Teresa, Melissa, Joe #2 and a passel of children go to a fashion show that some of the kids are involved in. They go out to eat afterward and discuss how we should all support and lift each other up.

Dolores meets Frank at the gym. They discuss getting more members and the class schedule. She says the ew gym isn’t just a hobby, but her independence.

Siggy and her kids sit down for some diner food. The kids talk about the difference between staying with their father and with her. They complain that she treats them like slaves. She says she’s the one who has to take care of the important stuff and their dad gets fun weekends. It sounds like it’s the same as most normal households where the parents live together. They try to talk to her, but she keeps interrupting and then starts to cry when her son tells her she can’t last a minute listening to him.

Joe #1 chases around with Milania (or one of those girls with an “a’ at the end of their name). Teresa tries to hurry him up because they’re going to Jacqueline’s house. Teresa is hesitant about the whole thing and we flash back to the last fight between Jacqueline and Teresa. Milania is now busy goofing around with a Sumo wrestler costume and can’t get up from the floor. Finally, Joe and Teresa make it to the car.

Joe #1 gifts Jacqueline with what looks like an entire case of his homemade wine. Teresa is excited to see Jacqueline’s kids. Joe and Chris talk while Teresa helps in the kitchen. Teresa says she just wants peace and to keep toxic people out of her life. Jacqueline says that Teresa had her own thing going on with both her and Melissa, but Teresa thinks they ganged up on her. Jacqueline talks about Teresa not talking to her about the tabloid articles, and how some of them were true. Teresa says she had no idea about it at the time and is surprised Jacqueline would think she did. I can tell that Jacqueline is gearing up to be an insensitive a-hole.

Teresa says her real friends believed she didn’t know what was going on and there must have been a disconnect between them. In her interview, Teresa says this is the last thing she wanted to rehash. Teresa tells Jacqueline that she’s hurt about her lack of trust. Teresa tells her that her brother told her not to trust Jacqueline. Jacqueline calls Joe #2 and asks him what he said. Joe is like, this was a million years ago and it’s up to you two so-called adults to work things out between you. Jacqueline hangs up and Teresa tells her that she’s not interested in anyone who’s not loyal.

Teresa reminds Jacqueline that she never questioned her when she was going through some legal issues. Jacqueline says hers wasn’t a federal bankruptcy fraud case. Teresa says that was a low blow and it’s time to leave. Teresa recaps what was said to Chris. In his interview, Chris says the girls always ruin things with some emotional nonsense. Joe says the girls always f-things up.

Jacquelie keeps going on about how you can’t compare the two cases they went through. Teresa says she did her time and took responsibility for it. Jacqueline says she doesn’t own it and had blamed her brother. Teresa says now Jacqueline is nuts, let’s go. I actually don’t remember Teresa blaming her brother for anything, but that also might have been something in the tabloids and I don’t read them often. Jacqueline insults her all the way out the door. Joe guzzles his wine before he leaves.

Chris asks what the trigger was. Jacqueline says Teresa was the one who brought up the past first and when she “came back at her,” she couldn’t take it. So much for Chris’s advice in the office. I don’t like Jacqueline. I feel badly that she has the pressure of raising an autistic child, but she’s nasty. I don’t know if she’s bored an likes to stir the pot or what, but she definitely has a ratchet attitude and looks for problems.

Teresa tells Joe #1 about Jacqueline calling Joe #2 and how insulting she was. I’m totally with her, and calling Teresa’s brother was out of line. It’s like she wanted to cause trouble between them. Joe says if you can’t repair what’s broken, sometimes it’s better to walk away. Teresa is like, I just got home, and I don’t need all this. Joe agrees that Jacqueline is a bitch.

Next time, Jacqueline babbles to Melissa, Teresa explains what happened with Jacqueline to Joe #2, and Siggy gets all weepy about family and tradition.

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital – Thursday

Sam leaves a message for Finn, wanting to know about her test result for malaria. Elizabeth drops Jake off and Sam says she’ll probably see her later at the hospital. Elizabeth asks if everything is okay.

Laura visits Doc in the hospital. He thanks her for saving his life. She tells him he sang her praises on the plane, but he doesn’t remember much.

Ava cleans up her apartment. She sees the newspaper and has a flash back to Nicholas being shot. Someone jiggles her door handle. She draws a gun, but it’s Holt, saying he was just checking on her. She doesn’t believe that’s why he’s there and he says they have to talk about Julian.

Alexis shows up at Julian’s holding cell. She asks to talk to him inside and the guard lets her in because they’re very lax there. Julian says it means a lot to him. She tells him she wants to tear up the divorce papers and she still wants to be his wife. What the blip is she up to?

Kristina chats with Aaron at the coffee shop. Or she tries. She asks if he’s going to ignore her except for shop talk. She says rather than avoid each other, they should discuss what happened.

Ava says Julian asked her to help him escape, but that’s a no. Holt says that she’s head of the organization now. She says that’s not happening either, but if someone were to help Julian escape, she wouldn’t be opposed.

Alexis tells Julian that she can’t give up, even though the girls threatened to cut her off. Julian wonders how she can forgive him. She says once she gets him out, they’ll go somewhere no one knows them and start over. She says she can’t live without him and they kiss. Julian wakes up. Ha-ha-ha! They fooled me.

Jordan wishes Alexis good luck at the bar association hearing. She tells Alexis that she was never a target and the goal was to get Julian to confess. She says Alexis wearing a wire has to mean something to the bar. Alexis says they’re going to get her on breach of ethics for not suggesting Carrrlos take a deal.

Sam tells Elizabeth about Jason possibly having malaria and that she’s waiting for her own test results. Elizabeth says it’s not passed from person to person, and the only way someone can pass it on to a child is in utero during pregnancy.

Lucy is stopped from going into Doc’s room. The nurse tells her he’s only allowed one visitor at a time and Laura is already in there. Lucy says she can’t be stopped. The nurse says maybe she can’t stop her, but security can.

Doc asks if he said anything embarrassing and if he did, blame the drugs and the fever. Laura flashes back to their exchange, but she tells him no, he didn’t. He tells her she’s the best kind of friend. Lucy comes bursting in with balloons and a stuffed duck. The nurse comes in behind her, apologizing, but Doc says it’s cool.

Elizabeth tells Sam that there would be symptoms if she had malaria and asks if she’s feeling okay. Sam says yes, but then runs to the bathroom. It’s not from malaria though.

Aaron is miffed about Kristina lying to him. He said she’d told him the professor was in the past, but apparently, he was just a hetero stand-in. Ouch! She says she’s truly sorry for how she treated him.

Alexis shows up at Julian’s cell. For real this time. I think. She asks him why he’s smiling and he says she wouldn’t believe it. She asks the guard to stay. She asks what Julian was trying to pull at the arraignment, asking to be remanded to her custody. He says he loves her and she tells him that he’s not going to see the light of day again. He asks if she’s there to gloat, and she lists all the messes he made and says she finds no joy in it. She tells Julian she wants something from him.

Andre runs into Jordan, who was about to bring breakfast to his office. She tells him she didn’t like how they left things. He says it’s been a while, and she says that’s totally on her. Andre suggests they have breakfast away from the office and decide where they’re going with their relationship.

Kristina tells Aaron that she was never really attracted to a woman before and it’s hard to explain what she doesn’t understand herself. She tells him the story about her suspension and says she was heartbroken when she met him. She says he’s a great guy and the night they spent together meant something to her. He says not as much as the night she spent with Parker. Kristina tells him about it and he asks if he’s collateral damage to her life search. She says she was wrong in what she did.

Sam tells Elizabeth that she’s pregnant. Elizabeth congratulates her. Sam says Jason doesn’t know yet. She was about to tell him when he got sick and that became the priority. She doesn’t want to tell Jason until she knows the baby will be okay. She asks Elizabeth to keep it to herself. Good luck with that.

Laura says she’s going to check the test results. Doc tells Lucy they’re being tested for malaria. Lucy says she doesn’t know what she’d do if she lost him. She says she screwed up and he’ll always be her Doc and her best friend. She doesn’t want to continue with bad blood between them. She gives him the duck, as a friend to keep him company. She adds that she didn’t know that role was already filled and suggests that he’s crushing on Laura.

Laura runs into Ava who asks how Doc is doing. Laura tells her he’s doing well. She asks if she can talk to Ava about Nicholas.

Alexis wants Julian to speak to the bar association on her behalf. He doesn’t see what good that would do. She tells him he should cut a deal. She asks what the point is in her going down with him? She tells him to prove he loves her and save her for once, instead of himself. He says he’d have to tell them he tried to kill her. He says she’d have to say that she feared for her life and that’s why she defended Carrrlos. He says he’ll lie for her, but in return, she has to give him a way out.

Aaron says he’s angry and hurt, but doesn’t want to be a total tool who’s unsupportive. He says he has gay friends and knows how hard it was for them to come to terms with who they are. He says he might be angry, but he didn’t want to see her hurt. Kristina says he’s a good guy and she wants them to be copacetic. She asks if he can find it in his heart not to hate her.

Laura says her heart can’t accept that Nicholas is gone. Ava remembers fearing for Kiki and says she doesn’t know what it’s like for that feeling not to go away. Laura says for most of his life, Nicholas was a great guy and refused to give in to the Cassadines, but in the last year, the dark side won out and it’s breaking her heart. Ava says Nicholas died a hero, sacrificing his life to save her. She says he was a good man and Laura should be proud. They hug and Laura thanks her.

Doc is like, not that again, and makes the duck ask if Lucy is on quack. Lucy says he protests too much and she gives her blessing for what it’s worth.

Sam tells Elizabeth it won’t be forever, but to give her a chance to find out what’s going on and what her options are. Elizabeth says she’s ethically bound not to repeat any health information. She thinks Sam should tell Jason right away though.

Julian asks if Alexis will make a statement on his behalf and she laughs. He says all she has to do is say she tricked him into making a confession. She says she wouldn’t lift a finger to help him to go free. He says her career for his freedom seems like a fair trade. Really? She tells him to go to hell. (Applause from the audience in my head.) She says she thought there was still a shred of decency in him, which shows how delusional she is. He says he loves her and he knows she still loves him which totally creeps me out. Alexis leaves.

A guard comes in and gives Julian a set of keys, telling him to enjoy his early release.

Jordan tells Andre they should make a promise to do better. He says he’ll work on not rushing things and she says she’ll work on letting her guard down. She says she’s in it for the long haul and they kiss.

Kristina asks Aaron if they can still be friends. He says he doesn’t know. He doesn’t want to be enemies, but he wanted more and it might be a difficult adjustment. At least he’s honest. He goes back to work and Alexis shows up. She asks Kristina what’s going on and if she can help. Kristina says Aaron is talking to her now, but Parker hasn’t responded to any of her texts. Alexis says maybe Parker thought the kindest thing was to walk away. Kristina asks why she’d say that.

Sam tells Elizabeth she’ll tell Jason about the baby as soon as she knows it’s okay. Elizabeth says she hopes Sam knows what she’s doing. Sam gets a call from the hospital. They have her test results back.

Jordan gives Andre a key to her place. She tells him to crash there while she finishes up at work, adding that he should keep it “for emergencies and stuff.” She hopes it’s a good compromise and he says more than enough. I hope she doesn’t blow this because I really like him. She wants his key, but he says they’ll talk later. Hopefully, he just wants to clean the place and isn’t hiding a woman somewhere. Or a man. Or a goat.

Alone in her apartment, Ava toasts to Nicholas and what they could have been together.

Laura returns to Doc’s room. Their test results are negative.

Sam says the hospital wants to see her in person. Elizabeth suggests calling Laura to go with her, but Sam says Laura has enough stress. Elizabeth says she’ll drive her and doesn’t want her to go it alone.

Kristina says Alexis used almost the exact phrasing Parker did. She doesn’t think it’s a coincidence.

Julian is so stupid, he drops the keys outside of the cell while he’s fiddling with them. He reaches for them when a black high heel comes down on his hand. Cool.

Tomorrow, Franco will always be the same old bad Franco, Jason asks Sam to give up whatever secret she’s keeping, and Kristina is seriously angry with Alexis.

General Hospital – Friday

Finn tells Jason that after one more round of tests, he’s free and clear, but since the first ones are negative, he can go home. Jason asks about Sam, but Finn says he’ll have to get that information from her, because ethics.

Lulu tells Dante that she wants to see Valentin. Dante is like, no way. She says what can Valentin do to her in a police station? Dante tells her Valentin can mess with her head.

Kristina questions Alexis about using the same words that Parker did. Alexis says it’s not what she thinks. Kristina has put two and two together and knows Alexis forced Parker to dump her.

Nina is the one who has put her foot down – on Julian’s hand. She says someone must have dropped the keys and they need to be returned. Julian suggests she could also leave them where she found them, but he gets a negative on that.

Alexis says she was concerned, but it was Parker’s choice to end things. Kristina says she’s been tied up in knots, wondering why Parker suddenly changed her mind. Alexis tells Kristina that if she can back off for a second, she’ll tell her what happened.

Obrecht approaches Franco, asking about his suspension. He asks if Monica hired the town crier, but it was the next best thing – Amy. Obrecht complains about her budget being cut and tells him what a creep Monica is.

Jason sees Elizabeth and Sam talking. He asks what’s up, and says their conversation looks intense.

Franco tells Obrecht about his failed date with Elizabeth. Obrecht says it’s past time he got a clue about Elizabeth anyway. Franco defends Elizabeth, saying he can understand her kids coming first. Obrecht tells him his job there was only a stepping stone to him reconnecting to his artist’s soul. She says she can’t wait to see what he creates with his artistic freedom.

Finn intercepts Obrecht in the hall, saying he didn’t take her for the cheerleader type. He tells her Elizabeth didn’t abandon Franco, she cleared him of suspicion. He thinks Franco might want to know that Elizabeth came through for him in the end.

Sam questions Jason’s decision in leaving the hospital before all the tests have been run. He says he hates hospitals and he’ll be fine. Sam goes to get her test results and Jason tells Elizabeth he wants to talk to her about Franco.

Alexis says Parker hunted Kristina down, but Kristina corrects that, telling her that Parker was speaking at PCU and she’s the one who encouraged things. She also says that Parker’s marriage had been over for a while. When Alexis asks if Parker told her that, Kristina says she didn’t have to, and that she and Parker are in love. Again Alexis asks if Parker actually said that, but Kristina says she just knows. Alexis says she’s sorry, but Kristina is mistaken.

Valentin is brought into the interrogation room, where Dante and Lulu are waiting. He asks why they want to see him.

Obrecht speaks to someone on the phone, asking if they have anything on Finn.

Finn tells Sam she shows no signs of malaria. He asks about how she’s feeling. He tells her that Jason voiced some concerns about her. Sam asks if he told Jason about the pregnancy, but he says no, because ethics. I’m not sure why she asked this, since she’d just seen Jason. It’s highly doubtful he wouldn’t have said something.

Jason says he can’t tell Elizabeth who to date, but Jake is his son and he should have a say in who he’s around. Elizabeth tells him please, not again, and he has to admit that Franco has been good for Jake. Jason is annoyed that they’d discussed Franco already and then she decided to go out with him. She starts to bring up Sam and then says it’s nothing. Sam comes back, and she and Jason get ready to leave.

Nina tells Julian that she found his clause in their magazine deal, making previous agreements null and void. She has some papers for him to sign. He says what if he doesn’t? She tells him that she’ll tell Jordan what she saw.

Kristina tells Alexis thanks for ruining her life. Alexis says that wasn’t her intention. She says she didn’t want Kristina to have any pain. Kristina says Alexis is trying to manipulate her and on Parker’s worst day, even if she was using Kristina, she’s not as bad as Julian. Yeah, it’s going to take forever for Alexis to live that one down.

Lulu is like, how dare Valentin try to hurt Spencer? Valentin says he was just trying to establish a bond, but if Spencer wanted to hand over his inheritance at a later date, he wouldn’t have minded. He asks if they’ve just come to torment him or is there something they want to talk about? Lulu hands him the envelope with Daphne’s return address on it and asks who she is and how they’re connected.

Sam and Jason arrive home and she suggests getting take-out. He wants to talk first. He asks what she’s not telling him.

Franco waits for the elevator, asking it why it’s so slow. Elizabeth appears and asks why he can talk to the elevator and not her? He says he has nothing to say. He tells her that she’s been nothing but a flake to him since their date. She says she thought they had a good time. He asks if it was a good time when the cops came and he got hauled off to jail? He says he knows she was leery of him and when the cops arrived, it confirmed her worst fears. He says he’ll never be anything except big bad Franco to her.

Obrecht wonders how Finn could afford a private jet for travel. She asks where he went and what he did when he got there. He says if she doesn’t stop interfering in his private life, he’ll have to file a grievance with the board. She accuses him of the murders and he says he’s been exonerated. She says not with her. He suggests she’s diverting attention from herself.

Valentin says he can’t help Lulu and he’s not familiar with the address. Lulu says the envelope was left to her in Helena’s will. Since it was empty, the only thing of importance is the return address. Valentin suggests maybe the old witch was playing with her. Lulu asks about the skeleton in the tunnels and Valentin says he doesn’t know anything about it. Dante asks if it’s Luke and if Valentin murdered him.

Alexis says Parker might sound genuine, but she’s not, because she’s not there fighting for Kristina. She suggests Kristina do what she’s doing with Julian and move the hell on.

Finn says Obrecht has already been arrested for attempted murder. He suggests she wants to pay the board back for the trouble they’ve caused her with a murder spree that shuts down the hospital.

Franco says he’s out of Elizabeth’s life and done with GH. He tells her about the suspension and she shocked because he was cleared. He tells her she’s free to find someone who doesn’t fall short of her ridiculous expectations. The elevator finally comes and Franco gets in, but Elizabeth stops the door from closing, telling him not so fast.

Jason asks Sam if she’s sick. She says not as far as she knows, and she seems to be clear of malaria. He says they’re stronger together than apart, so tell him what’s going on.

Valentin says he doesn’t know anything about the skeleton, but considering all the turmoil on Cassadine Island, it could be anybody. He says he never even met Luke. His quarrel is with the Cassadines and he just started having to deal with the Spencers. He says he’d shake Luke’s hand for the trouble he’s brought upon the Cassadines, and he’s glad he didn’t kill any of Luke’s family. Lulu says not for lack of trying

Alexis tells Kristina she did what she did because she loves her. Kristina says because Alexis loves her, Alexis wants to run her life, and when she fights back, she’s always wrong. Alexis says a little pain now is better than a lot later. Please.

Julian signs the papers. Nina is like, thanks and see you in a million years. Julian says his lawyer is going to get him off. Nina says she knows denial when she sees it. She tells him he should plead guilty, saving his family a lot of pain and the taxpayers money. He says he’s going to be exonerated and be the husband Alexis wants. Nina tells him that he’s full on delusional and women can forgive a lot, but not that much. He says Alexis still loves him. Nina says that her love life hasn’t worked out, but she knows real love is built on trust. She says he’s only ever loved himself and that’s why he’s in there.

Alexis tells Kristina she wishes she’d handled it better; she just didn’t want to see Kristina in a doomed relationship. She says she doesn’t want Kristina to end up like her. Kristina asks why Alexis married Julian and says that she put their lives in jeopardy. She says when Alexis goes before the bar, she’ll know what it feels like to be her.

Jason asks Sam if she can just admit there’s something that she’s keeping from him. She asks him to give her a little time. He says he can feel she’s afraid, but avoiding it won’t make the fear go away. He asks her to face the fear and tell him.

Obrecht asks how dare Finn question her commitment to the hospital. He says that it’s just the opposite. She did a lot of good for the hospital, getting it out of the red, but was repaid by being demoted.

Elizabeth tells Franco his patients need him and she’s seen the good work he’s done. He says it will never eclipse the bad he’s done, and he’s made his decision – GH is not for him. He tells her to say “hi” to Jake and hopes she finds that special someone who meets with Jason’s approval.

Franco asks Obrecht if she wants to go for a drink. She says she thought he had plans with Elizabeth. Franco says that was over before it began. Obrecht tells him about how Elizabeth got him off the suspect hook.

Lulu says Valentin murdered her brother, but he claims self-defense. She says he was going to kill Nicholas from the beginning. Valentin says that would be difficult to prove and Dante tells him he’s going to rot in jail. Dante and Lulu leave.

Valentin looks up to see Nina. He tells her he’s being extradited to Greece. Nina says she hears that he’s a murderer. He says he’s a realist who does what the situation requires. She asks what was required when they met and asks if it was a set-up to cover up something. He tells her that he found her beautiful, charming and a little sad, and he slept with her because the moment he laid eyes on her, he didn’t want to be anywhere else and trusted his instinct. Nina says she bets he regrets that now, since she gave his phone to the police. Valentin says it was his fault for leaving the phone behind. He says he regrets nothing, especially the night they spent together. She says he’s going to prison for life, and he tells her that he doesn’t put his faith in the system; he puts it in his instincts and they tell him that he and Nina are going to be together again.

Holy! I don’t know if he’s playing her, but I’ll go off with him. Although he is reminding me of Kurt Russell in Death Proof. A charming serial killer.

On Monday, Jason asks Sam what’s going on (for the thousandth time), Dillon and Morgan have it out, and Sonny asks Jax why he doesn’t want to know about the donor. Hmm… You don’t think he has something to do with getting the kidney, do you?

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Carly thanks Nell and tells her she appreciates all she’s been through, and asks if she’s will to prove she’s Jocelyn’s donor by taking some tests. Nell asks if Carly thinks she’s lying.

Finn visits Hayden. He tells her he’s sorry about Nicholas. Finn says he knows she cared about him. She says things between them were never simple and he set her up when he faked his death. Finn brings up Jason and she says bad timing on his part, but she was the one who was supposed to be framed. She says someone actually killed him this time, so good. Finn doesn’t believe she feels nothing but joy. Hayden tells him that a part of her does, but a part of her wants him here. She says the thought of never seeing him again and being able to try and make things right is something she doesn’t know what to do with and it’s a sad waste. She starts to cry and Finn hugs her.

Morgan visits Kiki. She answers the door thinking it’s Ava. He asks why Ava’s panties were in a twist and what happened after he left. Kiki says it doesn’t matter, but Morgan thinks it does. She says she’s just mad at herself for giving Ava more ammunition to use against them.

Ava arrives home to a mess. Scotty comes out in a towel, followed by a giggling Lucy. He says he can explain. I’ll bet. Ava asks what Scotty did to her place and what is he doing there with Lucy. He says they were having cocktails. When Ava says it looks like a tornado hit it, Lucy explains what would really happen if a tornado did hit. Scotty says things got a little wild. Lucy says who is Ava to judge when they’ve been having a hard time while Ava was off on vacation. She wants Ava to apologize to Scotty and Ava laughs.

Nell asks why Carly would assume she’s lying. Sonny explains that someone else tried to shake Carly down. Sonny says Nell has to understand where they’re coming from. Nell says she doesn’t know for sure, but the timeline adds up. She says none of it has been convenient for her. She thought she was going to help Jocelyn and get answers for herself, but the longer she’s there, the less she wants to be. She leaves. Carly and Sonny want to stop her, but Jax says maybe it’s better if she never comes back.

Scotty tells Ava not to work herself up and lose her vacation glow. She asks if they’ve seen the news. She tells them while they were boozing it up and laying waste to her home, she was in mortal danger, along with Laura and Doc. She tells them Doc was shot and is recovering in the hospital. Lucy runs out and Scotty says he should check on Laura. Ava tells Scotty she’s disappointed in him and he’s going to be sorry he crossed her.

Morgan asks Kiki what ammunition she gave Ava. Kiki tells him about Ava finding the medication. She says she told Ava that Morgan didn’t cheat on her and kicked her out. Morgan says he’s sorry he did this to her. She’s pleased at how calm he is. He says he’s doing his best not to freak out and blame everyone else. He knows he overstepped with the apartment, but he was taking his meds. He says Kiki matters more to him than anyone else ever has.

Carly says Nell could hold the key to their daughter’s health. Jax says how is Jocelyn going to feel when she hears about it? Sonny says he agrees and Carly can’t control what happens.

Michael follows Nell to the coffee shop. He tells her his family is suspicious by nature and it’s nothing personal. She says her ATM card isn’t working yet, but if he wants to make up for things, loan her twenty bucks and give her his address so she can pay him back. He gets an emergency call. He asks her to stick around and if it doesn’t work out, he’ll give her $20 and a ride to the bus station. He leaves.

Jocelyn approaches Nell. She asks why she was talking to Michael and why did she see Nell in her living room?

Hayden says she keeps going back and forth between missing Nicholas and being glad he’s dead. Finn says he understands that kind of regret. He says when he could see the end coming with his wife, she asked him for a picture of her parents on their 35th anniversary. He says he didn’t want to leave her and decided to stay at the hospital. He’d convinced himself he was going to save her, but he didn’t. He never got the picture and she died without it. He says sometimes a picture can seem like a little thing, but it wasn’t to her, and he understands regrets that stay with you until you die. Sad.

Kiki and Morgan start to get busy and Kiki wisely remembers condoms.

Scotty tells Ava they never had anything exclusive and she says they never had anything period. She asks if he thought she was jealous. He says for the record, he and Lucy didn’t use her bed out of respect. Ava says she’d been looking forward to seeing him as a friend to give support, but she was wrong since he’s so self-absorbed. He asks if she’s ever cared about anyone. She says when she was away, she unexpectedly found herself caring about someone else, but now he’s dead.

Sonny says if they go any further, they have to be very careful for Jocelyn’s sake. Carly hopes Michael can bring her back. Carly says if they find out Nell is Jocelyn’s donor, it will help them both. Sonny tells her what happens next with Nell is up to Nell.

Jocelyn tells Nell that Michael is cute and super sweet and a great businessman. Nell says all that’s great, but she’s leaving town. Jocelyn wants to give her a gif from her phone, but is having a problem with the program. Nell helps her. Michael returns. Jocelyn tells him that Nell was helping her with a gif app. Michael sarcastically thanks her. Jocelyn leaves.

Michael tells Nell he believes her and if it turns out she’s Jocelyn’s donor, now she knows who the trouble was for. He says in turn, his family will help her. She’s not down with that, but he says it’s only right.

Scotty asks if Ava killed him, and she says she was there when it happened. She tells him it was Nicholas, confusing him, since Nicholas was already thought to be dead. She says he can read all about it in his new home. He says before he leaves, he wants to know if she’s okay. She says obviously not. He wonders if Nicholas was playing her and she says they were both playing each other, but they also saw different sides of each other. He tells her he’s sorry for her loss. She tells him to go.

Morgan says he’ll call for some food and go pick it up. He says he thinks they finally got his meds right, and he and Kiki are right now too. She says things are good. He tells her they’re always going to be, a sure sign there will be a problem soon.

Jax tells Carly he doesn’t want Jocelyn freaked out and Carly tells him not to freak her out then. Jocelyn comes in and asks why they’re talking about her.

Finn says he has to get back to feed Roxie. Hayden asks if he’s making any headway. He tells her, perhaps. He says he’s secured medication for three months and she asks what happens after that.

There’s a knock at Ava’s door. It’s Morgan. He says she’s in town for five minutes and he’s already sick of her. She says now that he’s given Kiki an STI, she can’t wait to hear what’s next. He says he’s going to marry Kiki.

Jax makes up some story about needing to leave. He tells Jocelyn they weren’t really talking about anything. Carly says they just holler at each other from force of habit. She tells Jocelyn she loves her and always wants what’s best for her. Jocelyn leaves with Jax.

Sonny tells Carly that he believes she can handle the Jocelyn situation, but they have to be careful. He says they don’t know if Nell is the donor or if she’s even going to stick around.

Nell tells Michael she didn’t ask for his money and doesn’t want it. Except for that twenty bucks. He asks her to sit down for a minute. He says she could be the donor or she could be mistaken, but the only way to know for sure is if she’s tested. She says what if it’s all for nothing and he says they’ll cross that bridge when they come to it.

Finn says when the meds run out, he’ll cancel the cable and say sayonara. Hayden is like, ha-ha, and he says he should have made some strides by then to keep the disease at bay. She says she wants him to find a cure. She tells him he’s a self-medicating quack and she’s a fallen princess. He tells her good-night.

Ava asks Morgan if they have a wedding date. He says not yet, but it’s going to happen. He tells her to keep interfering and the more she does, the more Kiki will want to elope. He says he and Kiki will always be together, so deal with it. He leaves and she says over her dead body.

Jocelyn tells Jax that she found a girl she thinks is perfect for Michael, and tells him about Nell. She says it’s too bad Nell is leaving Port Charles tonight.

Carly says what if Nell leaves and asks Sonny if he’d use his resources to bring her back. Nell returns with Michael. She says she spoke with Jocelyn. She didn’t say anything, but she gets it now and they can run the tests. Carly is all happy

Tomorrow, Sam has to go back to the hospital, Lucy visits Doc, and Alexis tells Julian she still wants to be his wife. What?

Little Women: LA

Terra, Jasmine and their kids have a play date. Penny is just precious. While her motor skills are behind, Terra is thrilled that she’s crawling and sitting up. They discuss their now happening pregnancies. They give Chris some babysitting practice while they talk alone. Terra wants the girls to go for a day of henna. I didn’t even know this was a thing.

Terra is still harping on Tonya’s comment that a little baby would be more of a blessing than an average sized baby to Briana. For whatever reason, she took it personally, even though Tonya told her 50 times that she meant that specifically for Briana and why.

Briana is now 32 weeks pregnant. She didn’t think she’d make it that far and is excited about decorating the nursery. Matt asks how Briana felt about the baby shower, since he kind of hung back to let her have her day. She says it was great and she’s glad Christy didn’t show up, as reality cast members are likely to show up to parties where they’re not invited. She’s also glad she smoothed things over with Terra. She says it’s not like all if forgiven, but feels like they’re friends again.

Tonya takes Kerwin for a style update. While he’s trying on clothing, they discuss her business. She says she’s meeting with a new manufacturer. She still has to get some stock from her ex’s place and it’s a bone of contention in their relationship. She tells Kerwin that her ex hasn’t been available and he thinks things are dragging out too long.

Tonya finally gets her first sample for Lil Boss Active Wear. In her interview, Terra says it’s not the best quality control and Tonya’s workout video was a janky mess. She doesn’t want the line coming out looking cheap. She’s also trying not to let her unreasonable feelings about Tonya’s baby comment interfere with her opinions. Terra focuses on Tonya’s logo of a lotus flower, which she thinks is a bad idea. She tells Terra she just wants to make sure she’s investing in the right product.

Preston and Elena have decided to come back home, since they don’t know how long the babies will have to stay in the hospital. Elena is bummed, but Preston says the babies are progressing every day. She understands it’s better safe than sorry, but says it’s not supposed to be like this.

Christy and Todd go out to lunch. They discuss the various family medical problems they’re dealing with. Christy misses talking things over with Briana. They talk about the baby shower. Christy says she doesn’t regret telling Briana’s family that she was in the hospital. Autumn calls. She’s throwing up and doesn’t know what to do, so Christy and Todd decide to go home.

Terra tells Joe about Tonya’s workout wear, still concentrating on the lotus flower. She says Tonya has an entire garage filled with the line that didn’t work. OMG – she goes back to Tonya’s comment regarding Briana again. This is like Groundhog Day.

Christy tries to get Autumn to eat. The doctors told Christy that Autumn has a large cyst on her ovary. She gives Autumn some mashed potatoes, but Autumn says they’re making her nauseous and she’s still in pain. Christy fills Todd in on the cyst business. Christy says all they can do is monitor things and hope it doesn’t get worse. If the cyst erupts, Autumn will have a 50% less chance of having children.

The girls go for the henna day. Jasmine tells Terra that she’s suffering from serious heartburn, so she brought her own food. Terra tells her about Tonya’s workout line. She won’t stop talking about the lotus flower and Jasmine tells her to be honest with Tonya.

Briana and Tonya arrive. Briana says she had an ultrasound earlier and everything is going well. Tonya gets a bejeweled foot while the others get henna’d bellies. They discuss Christy, who no one has seen in a while. Terra talks about Christy showing up at Drag Con with Briana’s publicist. Briana says she had to let the publicist go and Jasmine says it’s like dating a girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend, and that she doesn’t trust Christy. Briana thinks that Christy just hired the publicist to get dirt on her.

Unfortunately, Briana gets a henna lotus flower which causes Tonya to talk about her logo, which causes Terra to focus on it again. Jasmine starts to feel crappy, so she leaves. Briana, Tonya and Terra stay to talk. Tonya tells them about Kerwin stressing over the stuff left at her ex’s. Terra interjects that Kerwin did leave everything to move in with her. In her interview, Tonya says she wishes everyone would shut up. Terra asks why she even needs to get the old stuff.

There she goes. Terra tells Tonya that the logo is too much. She says brands across the clothing went out in the late 90s. Tonya says she didn’t criticize Terra’s video even though she had her own thoughts. Terra asks what’s going to make Tonya’s line stand out? She says she’s not trying to tear it down, but before she invests more money, she needs to make it her own. Tonya says she’s had enough and leaves. I notice and covet her amazing crocheted top with a mermaid hem as she walks out.

Terra visits Elena who she hasn’t seen since before she was in the hospital. She asks if Elena has gotten the routine down. She’s had some good news that the babies will be able to come home soon. She says she’s a 15 on a 1 to 10 scale of excited. Terra tells her about the henna day and moves quickly on to the lotus flower. I don’t know how much more of this discussion I can take. Terra says she doesn’t want Tonya to fail, and that Tonya hasn’t been responding to her calls. Elena talks about Tonya putting in her two cents on Elena’s makeup line. Terra says Tonya can serve the shade, but can’t take it.

Tonya wrestles with the boxes of stuff from her ex, and she still has some more to retrieve. She tells Kerwin there are a few things missing. Kerwin thinks she’s playing with him at first, and then gets angry when he realizes she’s not. He says he could have done it in one shot himself and he doesn’t want to hear about it anymore. Tonya is hurt that he doesn’t trust her. Kerwin says she’s wasting his time.

Next time, Elena and Preston bring the babies home, Briana brings up Terra’s comments, Kerwin wants out, and a Habitat for Humanity gig happens.

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Nell believes she’s Jocelyn’s donor. Everyone wonders why she just showed up unannounced. She said she was told Carly wanted to meet her.

Sabrrrina has good news. Teddy is going to be released. Sabrrrina is surprised to find that Joe works at the hospital now. In all the Cassadine Island brouhaha, I’d forgotten all about him.

Tracy startles Dillon who was about to take his antibiotics. Dillon suggests she respect his privacy for once. Good luck with that. How about getting your own apartment?

Hayden returns to Windemere. Lulu is there and needs to talk to her about Nicholas.

Jason leaves a message for Sam to call him back. He asks Elizabeth why Sam is in the hospital. She says Sam fainted and was fatigued, but thought it was due to the trip.

Finn says the pregnancy would explain Sam’s nausea and fainting spells. Sam says she had reconstructive surgery a while back, and the doctors didn’t think she could get pregnant again. Finn congratulates her, saying it’s not often he gets to give people such good news.

Sabrrrina says she thought there was a hiring freeze, and Joe tells her that it’s a fellowship and he’s going to be concentrating on his research. She asks why he didn’t tell her and he says he tried, but she’s been ignoring his messages.

Tracy asks if Dillon is sick. He says he’s taking antibiotics as a precaution because a friend has a condition. Tracy asks if he got a condition from someone he’s been spending time with and if that person is Kiki.

Lulu tells Hayden that Nicholas is dead. Hayden is like, I already know that, and Lulu explains what really happened. Hayden realizes Spencer must have known and that’s why he was acting so strangely. Hayden asks if Lulu is sure that Nicholas is really dead now, and she says Ava saw it happen. She says Laura just told Spencer, who is heartbroken. Hayden says he’s not the only one.

Nell says she got an email from Nina who gave her the address. Jax gets super annoyed, but Sonny says what’s done is done and asks Nell why she thinks she might be Jocelyn’s donor. Jax says Carly told him it was over and Nell’s timing doesn’t change that. He asks why Nina would have asked Nell to come, and Carly says Nina is a grown woman with a mind of her own. Nell tells Michael it’s her fault for not calling first. She says that she thought she was doing the right thing and he says she is. She asks why he’s different from the others who are being suspicious. He says she’s the perfect excuse to leave the room and let them duke it out.

Carly, Jax and Sonny join them since there is no escape. Carly says Nina confirmed she didn’t know anything about it. Nell says since that’s the case, she’ll leave, but Carly says no.

Joe says he wanted to make sure Teddy was healthy. He adds that Teddy is the most beautiful baby ever. He says Teddy has Carrrlos’s smile, before he became hard and cynical. I would hope Carrrlos wasn’t hard and cynical as a baby. He says he regrets the choices Carrrlos made and how he might have had a hand in them.

Dillon tells Tracy he might not have anything and if he does, it’s not from Kiki. She asks if he’s been trolling the streets, and he tells her his love life is none of her business. Lulu enters, asking if Tracy has heard from Luke recently.

Hayden looks at the copy of The Great Gatsby that she gave Nicholas. The doorbell rings. It’s Elizabeth to see Laura. Hayden asks if Elizabeth was in on it with Nicholas.

Finn is giving Sam release instructions and Jason shows up. Finn excuses himself and Jason asks Sam if they know what’s wrong with her. She says yes and no.

Sabrrrina asks Joe if he’s trying to win her back. He says that the hospital is good for his research and he wouldn’t have taken the fellowship otherwise. He says he sometimes wonders what would have happened if they’d left Puerto Rico together and pursued their dreams, but he wishes her well in her future with Michael.

Lulu tells Tracy about being held captive by Valentin and how she found the skeleton. She shows Tracy a picture of the bracelet. An obviously distressed Tracy says it looks familiar.

Hayden congratulates Elizabeth on her performance, accusing Hayden of Nicholas’s death when she knew he was alive. Elizabeth says every bad thing in the world is Hayden’s fault.

Nell says that when she read the details in Crimson, she wanted to meet Carly, but she almost had second thoughts when she got there. Carly asks for her story. Nell says her parents took her on a long car ride, telling her she was sick and needed an operation even though she felt fine. She woke up in a hospital, having had surgery. Her parents told her the operation would make her better, but it’s been the opposite; she gets sick easy and has a lot of pain. She says her father had financial difficulties, but after that, things seemed to be okay. Sonny wonders why she would come all this way and what she thinks she would get out of it. Nell says she used to be angry with her parents, but when she read the article, she realized she might have made a difference in someone else’s life, and maybe the bad thing that happened to her was good for someone else. She thought in finding that out, she could move on.

Jason tells Sam about getting into it with Elizabeth about Jake. Sam tells him that he’s burning up. Finn comes in and Sam asks him to take a look at Jason. Finn checks him out and his temperature is high. Finn says he’d like to take some blood and do some tests. Jason objects, but Sam is like, too bad. Cute banter between the three of them.

Tracy says Helena probably planted the bracelet and earring. Lulu says Helena couldn’t have known she was going to be there and if it was a setup, it was an extremely lucky one. Tracy says Luke is probably on a beach somewhere. Lulu wants to check the DNA and asks if there’s something she can have for comparison.

Elisabeth says that Nicholas wanted to get away from Hayden. She says Nicholas saw something in Hayden and married her. She says Nicholas loved her while she was scheming with Tracy. Hayden says she had no choice. Tracy knew she was really Rachel Berlin and was blackmailing her, and then Nicholas tried to have her killed because of a secret he was keeping for Elizabeth.

Michael tells Nell that it took a lot of courage to come there. Nell says Carly is the courageous one. Jax is concerned that Nell isn’t telling the truth. Sonny says it’s difficult to verify the story. Carly suggests they have her tested to see if she’s a match and if she is, go from there. Jax says go where? Even so, it would be no guarantee that Jocelyn was the one who got her kidney. He suggests they give Nell some money for her trouble and send her on her way.

Joe asks Sabrrrina if she has time to kill before Teddy is released. He asks if she wants to join him for dinner in the cafeteria.

Tracy says Lulu is Luke’s DNA, but Lulu says she’s not a match. Tracy says he took all his stuff, but Dillon remembers a baseball cap. Tracy says go get it, but it’s a waste of time as Luke is alive and well. I think so too. If that bracelet has his DNA on it, that’s because he put it there to fool everyone.

Hayden says it all started with Elizabeth. If Elizabeth hadn’t been so desperate to keep Jason’s identity a secret, none of it would have happened. She put Nicholas on the road to his death and should take some of the blame herself. Truth!

Carly thinks they should check Nell out. Sonny agrees. Nell watches from the other room since they have windows bewteen the rooms like an office building. What?

Joe says he’ll have Sabrrrina back by the time Teddy wakes up and he’d also like to see him. Sabrrrina is surprised he wants to be so involved in his nephew’s life.

Michael calls Sabrrrina and leaves a message.

Carly tells Nell she’s grateful and appreciates everything Nell has gone through. She asks if Nell is willing to prove that she’s Jocelyn’s donor.

Lulu takes the cap.Tracy tells her she’s sorry about Nicholas and if she or Laura need anything, to call. Lulu says she’s worried about Laura and ever since the reading of Helena’s will, she’s been on a wild goose chase involving Luke. Tracy tells Dillon when the DNA test comes back, they’ll see she’s right.

Elizabeth tries to brush it off. Hayden says she started a chain reaction that affected everyone in town. Elizabeth says Nicholas loved Hayden, and against all advice, opened his heart to her. She says Hayden had the chance to make a life with him and threw it away. She says she hopes Hayden never stops regretting what might have been.

Finn leaves for the lab and tells Jason to stay put. When he’s in the hallway, Sam asks what Finn thinks is up and he says the symptoms suggest malaria. She asks if it’s treatable and he says yes. Sam says he’s not acting like it’s good news. He says Sam also has to be tested. If Jason tests positive, it’s possible she has it too, and there could be complications with the pregnancy.

Tomorrow, Jax wants Nell to leave, Kiki tells Morgan that she gave ammunition to Ava, and Lucy is caught with Scotty who is wearing a towel.

The Haves and the Have Nots

Candace asks Mitch what the blip he did. Mitch tells her about how he set War up through some family contacts. She tells him that War is crazy and Mitch says his family is too. He says there’s a lot she doesn’t know about them. Candace says she gave War what he wanted and Mitch asks if that included herself. She says she has it handled and to stay out of it. He says War won’t bother her anymore and she says he doesn’t have to be on the streets to get her. Mitch says not if he’s around, and she tells him to knock it off.

They see Oscar, and Mitch asks who he is. Candace tells him to let her handle it and Mitch leaves. Erika asks what was up with Mitch and Candace tells her Mitch screwed her over big time by setting up War. Erika says Mitch still has the hots for her and what are they doing about Oscar. Candace says just watch and follow him for now. She needs to find out where the money is and pay the mortgage before Benny finds out. She says she has to watch her back now because of Mitch.

War tries to get Jim’s attention, but Jim remains silent. David comes in and Jim asks why he’s smiling. David tells him Wyatt isn’t dead and was just unconscious. Jim asks the question on all of our minds – why didn’t anyone call an ambulance – and says he knows a good lawyer. Ha-ha! Jim is all happy for the moment.

Hannah is with the still unconscious Wyatt. She tells the nurse she’s waiting for a call. The phone rings. It’s Kathryn asking if there are any changes. Hannah tells her the meds are going to be reduced. Kathryn thanks her. Hannah asks if she’s sure she doesn’t want to come to the hospital, but Kathryn says she can’t bear to see him like that. Hannah he looks better than when she first saw him. Kathryn thanks her again, saying she really means it. She says she’s never met anyone like Hannah before and asks if Hannah can come over in the morning to talk about something. Hannah says okay. Kathryn asks her to put the phone to Wyatt’s ear. Kathryn tells Wyatt how much she loves him and that she’s not angry. She just wants him to come home and everything will be all right. She hangs up and starts to cry.

Hannah tells Wyatt to hang in there. Like he’s going anywhere. She sees Jeffrey in the waiting room. He apologizes, saying he doesn’t know what came over him. Hannah tells him he needs to get some help. She says hearing Veronica talk to him like that, all she could do was pray. She asks if he’s ever prayed. He says they never went to church and she says she’s not talking about that, she means talking to God. She gives him her number and says to call her. She adds that whatever kind of hellcat Veronica is, she’s still his mother. He asks if Hannah knows he’s gay. He says a lot of people condemn and judge him in his life and he’s concerned about her being a Christian. She says she’s not the type who goes around judging others. She says it’s a shame the way his mother treats him and the God she knows wouldn’t want anyone treated like that. She says he deserves better. Good of Tyler Perry to address this issue.

Jeffrey asks how Wyatt is. She says he’s better, but not awake. She tells him to go in and see Wyatt. She tells him that his mother is in the hospital somewhere. He asks if she’s okay, but Hannah says she doesn’t know and to be careful. He thanks her and goes in to see Wyatt.

Jeffrey sits on Wyatt’s bed. He tells Wyatt that he’s going to be okay. He asks Wyatt why he did this and tells him that they all love him.

Candace and Erika continue to stake out Oscar, who’s hanging out at the campaign headquarters. They see David go inside with him. Candace says that David had told her he’d send someone after her like a thief in the night. She says David is vulnerable and his wife is one crazy bitch. She asks if Erika has met him. When Erika says no, Candace says she should. Erika tells her it’s like old times and Candace says she wants Erika to get to his heart. She wants Erika to get to him…and his money.

At the hospital, Hannah visits Quincy Jr. He says he’s much better and wants to go home. She says she has to talk to the nurse. The nurse tells her he’s been there three days. Hannah asks if he can go home and the nurse says with the legal guardian, who would be his mother. She says if his mother doesn’t show by tomorrow, he’s being placed in foster care. Hannah asks if she can explain it to him, but the mean nurse says no and won’t even let Hannah say good-by. Idiot. She says she’ll explain that Hannah will be back.

Oscar asks if he should turn Benny’s phones back on. David says no, since Benny has been threatening Jeffrey. Oscar asks him if he’s sure he wants to do “this” and David says you have to treat a punk like a punk. Oscar gives him a gun and David says he’ll hear from him within the hour.

Jeffrey continues to hold vigil in Wyatt’s room. He tells Wyatt he loves him and not to leave him. He leans his head on Wyatt and there’s creepy Veronica watching. She tells Jeffrey that if his head was any lower, he’d be committing a crime. She says Jeffrey put a knife in her chest and could have killed her. He says he doesn’t know what happened. Veronica says he’s protecting his man and Jeffrey says Wyatt isn’t his man. She says she’s glad he knows that and she sees that crazy look in his eye. He says something about there being too many sharp objects in the room and he’s glad she recognizes that.

Veronica says she has to defend herself against some accusations he’s leveled against her and she needs a day of levity, so the engagement party is tomorrow. She tells him to be at dinner tomorrow, or the police will be at Candace’s with a search warrant. She adds that if he ever raises a hand to her again, what Quincy did to him will be a walk in the park compared to his next visitor. She tells him she loves him and she’ll see him tomorrow. He says she doesn’t love him. She says she loves him so much, she’ll do everything she says she will. Love to hate her.

War tells Jim he sees Jim got himself in trouble. Jim says apparently War did too. Jim says he’s been in worse places where the rats had it the best. Jim brings up Amanda and War says sorry. Jim says not as sorry as War is going to be and that kidnapping a judge is a federal offense. War says they’re both looking at the bars from the same side. Jim says he asked for War’s help before Candace extorted $7.4 million from him. War goes ballistic when he realizes Candace lied about how much money she had, saying Candace is dead.

War says Candace lied to him twice. Jim says his heart weeps. He says of course she lied; she thinks she’s smarter than everyone else. War repeats that she’s dead and Jim tells him to do them both a favor and do it.

Candace says she needs more information and they have to watch Oscar for a while. Erika says they have one problem – Grayson and his jealousy. Candace tells Erika to take a cab and she’ll follow Oscar in the car. Erika asks if she’s going to be okay and Candace says all she’s going to do right now is follow him.

Looks like the sandwiches aren’t too bad in jail. Jim gives War his sandwich. War says thanks and Jim asks who taught him manners. War answers that it was his grandmother. He tells a story about having heroin in his backpack and her hiding him from the police in a dumpster when he was six, and almost ending up in a garbage truck. Jim says he’s sorry. War says if he’s sorry for that, he should hear the rest.

Jim says he doesn’t understand how someone like War could choose crime instead of doing something with himself. War says Jim was privileged. Jim says he worked his way to where he is and War says Jim has the advantage of being white. Jim says explain all the guys like David who make it. War asks if this the part where Jim gets him to go straight. Jim says War isn’t six anymore and he needs to learn responsibility.

War says that Candace has the photos from the kidnapping, but he’s going to take care of her. Jim asks if War is the reason why Candace needed the mortgage. War says yes and asks how he knew about it. Jim says he and Kathryn are on the board at the bank and Candace should have remembered that. War says she’s desperate. Jim tells War about how the bank is going to foreclose in two weeks. He suggests they work together. He tells War to take care of their little problem and they can both live happily ever after. War asks if Jim can get him out. Jim asks if War can get the pictures and War says he can. They shake on it. War says if Jim burns him, he’ll throw him to the wolves in there. Jim says if War throws him to the wolves, he’ll come back leading the pack. Both War and I smile. It’s also not lost on me that Lisa Vanderpump‘s Real Housewives tagline is just about the same thing. Throw me to the wolves and I shall return leading the pack. Maybe War watches the Wives too.

David comes to the tow yard. He yells at Benny for threatening Jeffrey. Benny tells him that he’s not with Veronica anymore and to turn the phones back on. David keeps telling him to stay away from Jeffrey and Benny keeps repeating to turn the phones back on. They come to blows and David pulls out the gun. They begin to struggle over it.

Next time, Mitch says the phones will be back on, Candace tells Hannah there’s something she can do for her, and Hannah asks Kathryn if she can get her out of jail.

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

The Bravolympics continue, but it allowed me to see the finales of Devious Maids and UnReal in real time, instead of On Demand or an in the wee hours of the morning rerun. Devious Maids was satisfying. A lot of loose ends were sewn up sweetly – Evelyn and Julian back together and Spence’s innocence proven – and we were left with a cliffhanger – Marisol’s disappearance. UnReal was oddly disappointing. Between the show within the show, Everlasting, having a cutesy ending; and my guessing the season’s end for the production team, a possibly fatal car crash, set up by Jeremy to prove his contrition to Rachel.

Devious Maids‘ Evelyn probably had the best line of the night when she and Julian returned to what was supposed to be Julian’s wedding: Our parties do have a terrible track record.

On to the soap.

General Hospital

Jocelyn is stressed because Carly and Jax are fighting. Jax is ignoring Carly’s phone calls. Carly tells Sonny about Ava’s visit.

Morgan and Kiki take their STI medication. They clink water glasses. Ava knocks on the door. She’s not thrilled to see Morgan there.

Jax tells Bobbie about his conflict with Carly. He wants Bobbie to intervene, but she says she knows how important it is to have a complete medical history. He says when Jocelyn is an adult, she can look for the donor if she wants. Bobbie says it sounds like a compromise and she’ll consider talking to Carly, as long as Jax comes to her birthday party.

Finn says he heard there was an arrest. Elizabeth tells him Franco was released. Franco pops his head into Sam’s hospital room and asks if he can make her booboo better. Finn questions Franco’s history of violence and Elizabeth tells him that Franco had an illness and was exonerated. She’s surprised Finn isn’t more sympathetic.

Franco asks Sam if she can keep an eye on Jake, since Jason doesn’t always see things clearly in regard to his son. She asks if Elizabeth put him up to it. With soap timing, Elizabeth walks in behind him.

Bobbie sees Jason and introduces him to Jax. Bobbie invites Jason to the party. He says he can’t make it since he’s spending time with his son, but maybe he can stop by for a minute. Bobbie leaves.

Jocelyn explains to Michael about what happened with the kidney donor story and how she didn’t want the information splashed everywhere on the internet. He asks about her health and she says it hasn’t been a problem.

Carly tells Sonny that Jax is going to back off because she’s told him she’s not looking for the donor anymore.

Ava says she’s on the loose now and apparently Morgan is too. He tells her that he got the all clear from the doctors. He leaves and Ava says everything old is new again. Kiki asks if she has a problem with that, and tells Ave to cut to the chase. Ava says when she left, Kiki was excited about Dillon and she wonders about the Morgan backslide. Kiki says they’re back together, no thanks to Ava, and she knows that Ava tried to keep them apart.

Sonny questions Carly’s decision. She says that Sonny had just told her to drop it, and Sonny says that was before he found out that Jax was threatening her. Jax enters with Bobbie.

Franco leaves and Sam asks if Elizabeth heard about Nicholas. Elizabeth says yes, and Sam says for what it’s worth, he died a hero, like the guy he used to be. Elizabeth thanks her for the information and leaves.

Jake and Jason meet by the coffee shop. Jake says he was worried that Jason wouldn’t come back. Jason says he’ll always come back, and Jake says that’s what Franco told him.

Finn introduces himself to Sam as her internist. She tells him he looks just like Silas and Finn says he’d forgotten he resembled him. Me too. She tells him they dated for a while and he asks if it makes her uncomfortable. She says no.

Jake tells Jason about some art stuff. He says Franco tells him about all kinds of cool things. Jason asks when. He says when they hang out, like when he comes to see Elizabeth. Cat slowly escaping from the proverbial bag.

Franco sees Elizabeth. He gives her the portrait. He says he needs to go in another different direction now. He asks her to say hi to Jake.

Sonny asks what Jax is doing there, and Bobbie says it’s for her birthday. She wants her grandchildren and their fathers there.

Ava asks if Kiki heard it from Sonny. Kiki says she heard it from Morgan after he was released. Ava says she was trying to protect Kiki after Morgan got her shot. Kiki tells her to stop trying to guilt Morgan. Ava says Morgan is unstable and incapable of making good judgement calls for himself or anyone else. She says he’s never going to leave Kiki alone and that Kiki has to be the one to tell him to get lost.

Ava says people are advised not to enter relationships just after leaving the hospital. Kiki says that’s for addicts and alcoholics, but Ava says that’s just semantics. Kiki says she’s not a pushover and calls Morgan on things when she sees them. Ava says she’s a crutch and a caretaker, and she’s enabling him. Kiki says she thinks Ava is uncomfortable because she had two separate affairs with him. She tells Ava to get out and stay gone. Ava asks her not to do this, and Kiki says she did this, yet again.

Ava sees the pill bottle and asks if Morgan gave her an STI.

Michael says something about Morgan’s meds and Morgan asks who told him. Michael is a little confused because he’s talking about the bi-polar meds and Morgan thinks he means the antibiotics.

Carly talks to Jax outside, telling him that she’s called off the search. He says when Jocelyn is an adult, if she wants to continue the search, she can. Carly tells him that she called Nina right after he left.

A girl comes to the door asking for Carly.

Elizabeth tells Jason welcome back. Jake leaves to get a cookie and Jason tells her the charges were dropped. He says he’s sorry about Nicholas and doesn’t want anything to be awkward. He says Jake seems to be doing well. He tells Elizabeth that Jake says Franco has been visiting them. Elizabeth tells him that they went on a date.

Franco talks to Daisy the dog’s picture, saying she’s the only one who ever understood him. He talks to himself, going over the Elizabeth thing. He says all he wants to do now is help people. He has love to give and no one special to give it to.

Sam tells Finn she’s fainted three times. She says it started in Greece. Finn explains that some diseases aren’t found here. She asks if he thinks she picked something up on Cassadine Island.

Kiki tells Ava she’s being inappropriate, and Ava repeats her question. Kiki says Morgan got exposed before they got back together and it’s highly treatable. Ava tells her to go for a follow-up HIV test because it can be dormant for a while. Kiki says she was tested for everything, but forgot about the window.

Sam says she was on a lot of stress on the trip and the second time she fainted, it was during a crash landing. Finn say the blood work will give them the whole story and not to worry. If there’s an infection, they’ll treat it.

Jason harangues Elizabeth about her date with Franco. She says Jason’s comfort level has nothing to do with her personal life. She tells him that Jake has been doing better and he needs to take his blinders off. He suggests they meet later to talk. She says that she and Franco just went on one date and they’re not having another one, so back off.

Franco wonders if Jason is the only one in Port Charles who deserves a second chance. He talks about being an artist. His phone rings. It’s Monica.

Michael tells the girl that his mother is busy right now. She introduces herself as Nell and he invites her to wait in the living room. Carly makes a toast to Bobbie, saying she’s everyone’s mom and how she didn’t let tough times make her bitter. She says she regrets not being kind to Bobbie at first, but doesn’t regret coming to Port Charles and how grateful she is for Bobbie.

Morgan and Jocelyn are taking Bobbie out, so they leave. Carly is like, way to end a party and says it might have been nice if Morgan thought out the timing a little better. Michael tells her she has a guest.

Kiki looks at the test results and she’s negative for HIV. Ava suggests condoms next time. D’oh! Ava tells Kiki that she knows what’s right and needs to wise up.

Franco tells Monica the police have cleared him. He asks why he’s being suspended even though she knows he’s innocent. He asks for Daisy back.

Elizabeth tells Jason he doesn’t get to judge her private life especially when he has no idea what’s going on in his own messed up orbit. She says he obviously doesn’t know Sam is in the hospital.

Finn tells Sam she’s pregnant. No surprise. Saw that one coming.

Nell tells Carly about seeing the article about Jocelyn’s transplant . She thinks she the donor.

Tomorrow, Nell explains herself, Lulu needs to talk to Hayden, and Tracy questions Dillon.

August 7, 2016 – An Olympic Interrupt & Real World Rerun

Standard

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

Due to Olympics beyond my control, there were no new Bravo shows tonight. No surprise they decided to show the Olympics, since that’s what they’re known for. (Sarcasm.) They did show The Real Housewives of New Jersey: The Bravoholic Special Edition, but that’s basically a euphemism for already aired scenes with footage originally edited out added back in, that only someone severely addicted to reality shows could enjoy. Of course I watched it.

I also decided to watch a marathon on MTV Classic of the first season of The Real World, filmed in NYC. I’d forgotten how much I loved that show. When it was real, and the cast had jobs, friends and lives, and we saw a lot of a new city through their eyes. Before it degenerated into hot tub sex fueled by free alcohol.

Also radically different is the way the cast members related to each other. They actually did relate to each other. Like face to face, not on phones. And they were able to have intelligent debate and consideration for one another’s feelings. Sadly, I think this is a reflection of today’s real world not being aired on TV. With the advent of our being plugged in everywhere has come a disregard for others and an inflated sense of self.

In discussing racism, Becky tells Kevin that she has her own hard road being a woman. Kevin questions that if he and Becky were up for the same job, who would get it? Becky misses an opportunity here to counter with, if they both had the same job, who would get paid more for it? An I trump your race card with my female card sort of thing. While Kevin mellowed throughout the season, he did go in on the defensive. When she tries to explain that, even though she’d like to become more knowledgeable, it’s impossible for her to know exactly where he’s coming from, not having walked in his shoes or even grown up around a pair of shoes like his, he gets unreasonable, calling her a racist and a bitch. She’s perplexed about the whole thing, but later he realizes how ridiculous he was being and they have a reconciliation and a real talk. The same thing happens later when Kevin and Julie get into it. I shudder to think about what would happen between some of the more recent roommates.

It was fun seeing the things I’d forgotten about like Eric going to dance class with Julie; Julie’s family visiting and her goal being to wear them out; and when they found the albino Pekingese dog that everyone fell in love with. Even Andre, who seemed totally against animals in the house, loved it because it flew in the face of standard animal beauty. Little did I know the first time I watched the episode, that I’d have my own family of Pekingese dogs. Not albino, but all of them white. It was kind of sad when they finally found the owner. I have the feeling the dog would have rather stayed at the loft, and probably took off because it was bored.

I’m hoping they air The Real World: San Francisco. It didn’t get more real than Puck and Pedro Zemora, who brought HIV/AIDS and the challenges those with it face, into our living rooms and into our lives. Later on, I saw the piece of the AIDS quilt with his name on it that was traveling around the country (it also traveled to One Life to Live) and it felt like I really knew him.

Sadly, somewhere along the line, a switch flipped, and The Real World fell prey to physical fights and sex equaling ratings. Jerry Springer, anyone? He actually had an intelligent talk show when he started out. I stopped watching The Real World a long time ago, although I would tune in occasionally, giving the show another chance, forgetting how bad it was. It never took long for me to remember and tune back out.

So thanks, MTV Classic, for the trip down Memory Lane. When The Real World was filled with multi-dimensional people living multi-dimensional lives.

My two favorite quotes:

There’s not much we can do, you know. We can only do what we can do.Becky, discussing politics.

I’m never going to see nine o’clock in my life. Unless I’m coming home.Heather B, discussing getting up in the morning.

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital – Thursday

Jason is brought into the police station in handcuffs. Sonny is there and asks what’s up with that. Jordan says Jason has been arrested for the murder of Nicholas Cassadine, but Sam is saying otherwise. Dante and Lulu walk in and confirm Sam’s story.

Nina wakes up nakey in bed and wonders what she’s done. Theo tells her things got pretty naughty and he hopes she’s not having second thoughts.

Spencer is practicing his camp gig as the lead in Richard III. He leaves a message for Nicholas. The camp counselor comes to get him.

Darby and Dillon meet at the coffee shop. He says he’s willing to see where things go, but he’s not ready to commit to a relationship. She says that isn’t necessarily what she wants.

Kiki tells Morgan she thinks he’s having a manic episode. She wants an answer to whether or not he’s taking his meds.

We revisit Griff and Claudette seeing each other for the first time. She asks if it’s really him. When he says yes, she flies over and hugs him.

Nathan asks Maxie to marry him today.

Theo tells Nina they’re two grown-ups, unattached, both a little sad, having some fun. He hopes she doesn’t think he’s taking advantage. She says she doesn’t, but this is the first time she’s done anything like this.

Darby says she’s not looking for a commitment. Dillon says that’s his fault for making an assumption. She says he needs to get tested for an STI. She tells him about something I’ve never heard of (Mycoplasma genitalium – MG) and says sometimes there are no symptoms. It can cause cancer, but is highly treatable if caught in time. Dillon asks what about Morgan?

Morgan says he thought Kiki trusted him. She says she does, but she doesn’t trust his disease. He says his personality isn’t going to change and he tends to leap before he looks. She wonders if loving each other is enough and if they can get past their past.

Griff asks what Claudette is doing in Port Charles. She says some freelance work and that it looks like he left the priesthood. He says he’s just taking a break and he’s regretted their encounter since it happened. She says God works in mysterious ways and they’ve been brought back together for a reason. I roll my eyes.

Maxie says if they elope, they’ll disappoint a lot of people, and she’s not getting married without Lulu being there.

Lulu and Dante tell Sonny what happened and that Laura is with Doc at the hospital. Sonny asks about Ava, and Jordan says she’s giving a statement. Dante says it’s unnecessary.

Nina agrees to being friends with benefits. She asks how long Theo is in town. He says he’s tying up loose ends with his family, but he has a couple of hours to kill. They get busy again. We see the headline in the paper about Dante and company being back in Port Charles.

Morgan asks if Kiki is sorry they got back together. She says no, but he has to respect her and life-altering surprises aren’t her thing. She says they have to learn to deal with the people they are now. He asks if this is about Dillon. Kiki assures Morgan that she loves him, but he’s moving too fast. She says they’re adults now and have to start acting like it. They hear Avery crying on the monitor, and Kiki says she’ll go tend to her because Morgan has to get to work. She says they’ll talk later.

Dillon says it’s none of his business, but he knows Darby was with Morgan. She says it was a while ago, but she did try to call him.

Claudette says she can’t believe the coincidence, but Griff says history has proven that bad things happen when she’s around. He says she came to him about her marital troubles when she only got married for a green card. She says at first, but then she wanted to make it work. He says they had an illicit affair and she got off on it; she enjoyed the thrill of possibly getting caught. She says at one point he was willing to leave the priesthood and stay with her.

Maxie asks if Nathan is over-compensating because of Claudette and is there something he isn’t telling her.

Nina says she could get used to no strings. Theo says sometimes liking someone is better than loving them and I ponder this. Curtis knocks at the door. Nina gives Theo the paper to peruse and steps out to talk to Curtis privately. Curtis is concerned she might have made a decision she regrets. Theo sees the headline.

Jordan says she’ll reach out to her Interpol contacts about Valentin. She wants everyone to stick around for statements though. Sonny says despite Nicholas’s faults, he was Lulu’s brother and he’s sorry for her loss. She says there’s someone else who might not have made it off the island alive.

Dillon looks up stuff about MG on his phone. He sees Morgan and tells him he might want to return Darby’s phone calls. He says that they may have an STI.

Griff admits his feelings for Claudette were real. He checks out her injury while she stares at his gorgeousness. He pokes around until she says ow and he says she aggravated her old injury. She tells him how it happened. He says ah-ha, she’s there for Nathan.

Maxie brings up Nathan and Claudette’s song that he still has on his playlist. He says he’ll delete it. She says that’s not the point. She thinks he asked her to marry him in a rush to assuage his conscience after he told her about Claudette.

Lulu talks about the possibility of Luke being the skeleton. Sonny says they have no reason to think he’s dead unless there’s 100% proof, but he’ll find out for sure.

Nina tells Curtis not to judge her and he says, “My name is Saul and that’s between ya’ll.” Ha-ha! Theo emerges, saying his timetable changed and he has to go. Nina says that wasn’t a walk of shame, it was a sprint. She and Curtis go back into her room and Curtis says Theo left his phone. Nina says let’s check to see what’s on it so they can track him down, like either Curtis or I would believe that reason. They hear Spencer’s message.

Claudette asks Griff how she would know Nathan was in Port Charles. He says he’s friends with Maxie and she had been worried about Nathan when he didn’t come home. Claudette says Maxie is a jealous, petty person, and she didn’t seduce Nathan. Griff says Claudette repeatedly told him she never loved Nathan, so what’s the angle?

Nathan tells Maxie that he wants to jump start their life and help her be more secure

Nina wonders why Theo has Nicholas’s phone. Curtis says Nicholas was dead weeks ago and the phone needs to be taken to the police because there’s an ongoing investigation

Sonny says if Valentin killed Nicholas, he could be targeting other Cassadines and he wants to make sure they’re safe. Jordan comes out with Valentin’s picture. She says he has a clean record but is a person of interest in a laundry list of crimes. She uncuffs Jason and says he still has to answer for fleeing jurisdiction. She says he’ll get off, but not to think she’s okay about vigilante justice.

The camp counselor says Spencer has a visitor who says he’s family. It’s Theo. Seriously, what camp is just going to allow a visit by an unannounced person who says they’re family? And then leave them alone with the kid? Everyone remove your children from that camp immediately.

Curtis brings the phone into the police station. He plays the recording of Spencer for Jordan.

Morgan and Dillon are at the hospital. Kiki shows up, saying she got Morgan’s text and why did he want to meet her there? Darby, who suddenly appears, says because she slept with Morgan and so did Kiki. She says too bad Kiki hadn’t slept with Dillon, since it would make it a perfect circle. Ew!

Claudette tells Griff she wants nothing from Nathan. She says she bets Nathan and Maxie don’t know who he is. He says when she’s backed into a corner she attacks and has someone take a bullet for her – literally. She says she loved him and he says he’ll examine her leg now. That’s not a euphemism for anything. He really wants to examine her leg.

Nina explains where she got the phone, and says his name was Theo. Everyone exchanges looks.

Theo says he’s Spencer’s uncle. Spencer asks why he’s in Port Charles. Theo says he’s there to bring Spencer to Nicholas. Spencer wants ID and Theo shows him the tattoo. Theo says he has a jet gassed up and ready to go. Spencer says he hasn’t offered his kingdom for a horse yet. Theo says they have a small window to escape, and asks him if he doesn’t want to see his father. Ha-ha! He’ll be giving this kid back before he can ask for ransom.

Kiki asks if she has an STD and Darby says it’s an STI. Kiki says she can’t believe this is happening. Darby says it’s an infection, not the black plague. Kiki and Morgan walk away and Darby tells Dillon none of them are better than she is and at least she got tested and told the right people. Morgan tells Kiki she’s right. They spent time apart and it changed them, and they need to start fresh. She says she’s not going anywhere. Dillon sees them hug and Kiki sees Dillon over Morgan’s shoulder.

Claudette sees Maxie and Nathan. Maxie tells her they pushed up the date of their wedding. Claudette says she’s decided to stay in Port Charles. Poor Griff.

Jason says Theo is Valentin’s alias. Nina is like, what? Jordan shows her Valentin’s picture.

Theo asks what means more to Spencer, his public or his father. Um…

Nina confirms that’s who she was with. Dante asks if he said anything about where he was going. She says he told her he was tying up loose ends with family.

Spencer says if the world’s a stage and the men and women merely players, he hasn’t left the play, it just moved on. They open the door to leave and Sonny is there. Honestly, I never thought I’d say this, but I’m loving Sonny.

Tomorrow, Carly says she and Jax are on the same side, Sonny meets Theo, and Curtis has answers for Nina.

General Hospital – Friday

There’s a knock at Carly’s door. It’s Jax. He wants to talk about Jocelyn. He asks if Carly wants to make peace or go to war. She says he implied that she doesn’t care about Jocelyn’s well-being. She says she understands that Jocelyn feels like her privacy is invaded. Jax says they need to consider that, but Carly says not at the risk of Jocelyn’s health. She says that she and Nina won’t do anything to hurt Jocelyn.

Ava visits Julian, who immediately starts whining. His voice gives me a headache. She tells him he’ll get an acquittal. Not sure how she came to that conclusion. She says it’s not like he tried to kill his wife or something. I guess she has been away a while. He tells her what happened with Alexis and finding the wire on her. He says he still loves Alexis and that he’s the one who screwed everything up. He tells Ava he has a plan to get everything back – Alexis, his family, and his freedom. He says it will take time and effort, but they’ll find their way back to each other. He tells Ava that Scotty is his lawyer, but no lawyer is going to get him out of this. He’s going to escape and he wants her help.

Alexis goes through the mail. She gets a notice about a hearing next week. Sam arrives, telling her about what happened in Greece. Alexis says Cassadines don’t die, they rise from the ashes, so nothing is as it seems. She tells Sam that it’s not over.

Nina is freaked that she’s slept with another psychopath. She’s with Curtis at the coffee shop and he says they’ve all had nights they regret. He tells her there are good men out there worthy of her. She asks why he’s so nice to her and he says because she pays him. He tells her he might have the answers she’s looking for in regard to the organ donor.

The charges against Jason have been dropped and he’s released. He asks about Valentin and Jordan says they’re on high alert. She tells him that he doesn’t get a free pass to loiter around the squad room though. Jordan says she has a search to conduct and if he’s there when she gets back, she’ll lock him up. Jason calls Lulu and asks where Spencer’s play is.

Superhero Sonny shows up at Camp Showbiz. (I finally notice the sign.) He asks Spencer how his debut was. He says he’s sorry he missed the first act, and maybe Spencer’s friend can fill him in. But wait a second, I thought the play hadn’t started yet. Theo sort of introduces himself and Sonny does the same. Sonny asks if Theo was close to Nicholas, and that it’s funny how Nicholas never mentioned him. Theo tries to get Spencer to move along, but Sonny isn’t having it.

Carly is getting ready for her mother’s birthday and has to check on the cake in the kitchen. Her phone rings and Jax picks it up. It’s a text from Nina saying she has something in regard to the donor. D’oh!

Alexis tells Sam that what happened with Julian was surreal. Sam says she wishes she had been there and asks why Alexis didn’t tell her what was going on. Alexis says Julian is her father, but Sam says he has nothing to do with their family anymore. Alexis thanks her for her love and support, and says she has to do the rest for herself. She tells Sam to go. Sam tells her that fighting Julian takes guts and don’t dare stop.

Ava tells Julian to stop talking like that. He tells her to get some men together and have a jet ready. She says she can’t help him. She tells him about Nicholas sacrificing his life for hers and that she’s been given a second second chance. She doesn’t want to risk going back to prison. She tells him sorry and good luck. Ha-ha!

Jax tells Carly to check her messages. She says she can explain. He asks if she’s going to explain with another lie. He says he told her what would happen if she pushed him, and don’t be surprised if he pushes back.

Theo says he has a gift for Spencer from his father that he has to give him in private. Sonny tries to get Spencer to go finish the show, saying that he wouldn’t want his understudy to get all the glory. Spencer runs off. Sonny tells Theo he knows a Cassadine when he sees one. He grabs Theo’s arm and exposes his tattoo.

Curtis gives Nina a list of donors he thinks are a possibility. He points out one in particular and says it would be Jocelyn’s donor.

Carly tells Jax they’ve always been able to work things out. She says Jocelyn doesn’t know what’s best for her and what if something happens with the kidney? He tells her that he’ll see her in court. Idiot.

In revolving soap door fashion, Jax leaves and Ava comes in.

Valentin (switching back now) says Sonny is very observant. Sonny says he knows who Valentin is and says and he doesn’t want Sonny as an enemy. Valentin says people say the same thing about him and shows he’s armed. Valentin assumes Sonny must not have pulled his weapon because he doesn’t want innocent children caught in a crossfire. He says he doesn’t have that problem and tells Sonny to put his gun and phone on the ground. Sonny complies and says he doesn’t want to hurt Valentin, but the guy behind Valentin will. Jason punches Valentin out and Sonny tells him it’s about time he showed up.

Sam comes to visit Julian. He says he can’t believe what she and the others went through on Cassadine Island. She’s like, you don’t care anyway. He says he can explain. She says fat chance of that and tells him for once act like a man instead of a lying coward and admit what he did. He says if he doesn’t get out, he can’t make things right with his family. She says he has no family and if he ever comes near Alexis again, she’ll kill him herself. She says he’s nothing to her.

Alexis gets a letter from the bar. It’s not good. Jax knocks on the door and she’s ecstatic to see him. Alexis asks how long he’s going to be there. He says he and Carly are having issues that might need legal intervention. Alexis asks if he needs her help. He says he might be in a bit of trouble and she stops him, saying she can’t represent him.

Jason tells Jason to get Valentin out of there before Spencer comes back. Jordan shows up saying it won’t be necessary and asks why he didn’t call her. She tells Valentin he’s under arrest. She says she’s sure the Greek authorities will have plenty of charges and reads him his rights. Sonny and Jason are all proud of themselves.

Ava tells Carly that it’s karma that Carly tried to take Avery away and now Jax is going to try and take Jocelyn from her. Carly gives her a hard time about seeing Avery, but eventually relents when Ava makes her feel guilty enough.

Julian tells Sam he loves her and she can’t just cut him out of her life. She tells him he’s going away for a long time and don’t bother writing. She says she’ll be in court supporting her mother. He asks what if Danny needs a bone marrow donor again. What a tool.

Curtis tells Nina all the preliminary facts match up and something feels right about the story. Nina composes and email to the donor. She must type fast. The email isn’t that short and she’s done in like, two seconds. Curtis tells her she can’t do that and she says too late, she just did.

Carly listens to Ava talk to Avery over the monitor. She looks at a picture of herself and Jocelyn.

Jax pours himself and Alexis a glass of wine. She seems weird about drinking, making me wonder if she really is pregnant. He tells her she’ll come out of this okay, but she says she doesn’t think so. He says Diane is a total shark who will tear the committee apart. Alexis says it won’t happen this time, since she knew about Julian and married him anyway. Jax says she’s had worse relationships; she lost her way and she’s back on track. He hugs her.

Sonny tells Jason he might have a future in law enforcement, but Jason says Jordan hates him. Jason wonders how Sonny knew what was happening. He says he just had a feeling, but now he has to explain things to Spencer. He asks Jason to tell Carly what’s happening.

Spencer comes back, saying he got a standing ovation and asks where Theo is. Sonny tells Spencer that Theo had to go and to stay away from him. Spencer says his father sent Theo and he’s not supposed to tell anyone, but Nicholas is still alive. He says Nicholas sent Theo to take him on an adventure. Sonny says he’s sorry, but it’s not going to happen. I feel ripped off, having wanted to see Spencer play Richard III.

Valentin wants his phone call and Jordan says she’ll get to it. He also wants Nina’s phone number.

Nina says worse case scenario, they’re wrong and the donor gets a free trip there. Yippee. Just where everyone wants to vacation – Port Charles. Curtis says what about Carly?

Ava tells Carly to enjoy her little soiree. She says maybe she’ll look up Jax, adding that she’ll be there tomorrow to see Avery.

Jax says he’ll have to find someone else to fight his battle, but they won’t be as good as Alexis. She says maybe Carly will come around and it won’t come to that. Jax tells her there’s a ton of people who love and support her, and not to be afraid to lean on them. He tells her that no matter what, she’ll still be fabulous. Jax leaves and Alexis cries.

Nina says Carly can deal and sends the email. Carly calls and tells Nina about Jax’s threat and tells her to drop the search. Oops. Nina says consider it done.

Sam says Julian is doing exactly what Sonny said he would, holding her son’s life over her head. She tells him Jason has been tested and is a perfect match. She tells Julian he’s now expendable. She asks what he thinks Jason will say if he knew Julian threatened her sons life. As she’s raging at Julian, Sam collapses.

On Monday, Bobbie invites Jax to the party, Ava tells Kiki to let Morgan go, and Carly tells Sonny she’s not looking for the donor anymore. I can’t tell if her fingers are crossed behind her back.

What I Watched Today
(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Nathan takes Claudette to the hospital. How they got back, I have no clue. The real Maxie has returned and is looking for him at the hospital.

Morgan says he has a life-changing surprise for Kiki. Sounds frightening.

Franco meditates, using Elizabeth as a muse, when Scotty shows up bearing breakfast. He tells Franco he has no alibi and was seen coming out of Miss Prescott’s room. Scotty says they’re going to search Franco’s studio and apartment, and they already found the sketches of the dead people in his locker. Scotty asks if they’re going to find out anything that will bury Franco deeper.

Elizabeth asks Griff to pinch hit and check out Claudette, although she doesn’t use Claudette’s name. Maxie finds Nathan. She starts to tell him about the computer hack, but he says Claudette already told him about it. He also tells her about Claudette smashing the wedding photo. He explains about offering to drive Claudette to the airport. After every sentence, Maxie asks if Claudette is gone, and finally Nathan tells her she never made it to the plane.

Claudette waits in the examining room. Does she know Griff is a doctor at GH?

At the coffee shop, Kiki tells Morgan about Franco not coming home last night. He barely acknowledges this and tells her how great it was waking up next to her and how much he missed her. He says he doesn’t want to miss her like that again. She asks what’s up and Lucy interrupts.

Oh good God. Griff almost goes into the examining room – he has his hand on the doorknob – and Valerie says she needs to talk to him.

Maxie asks for an explanation. Nathan tells her about going down a random country road and the car dying. Maxie tells him how she had a farewell-to-Claudette dinner ready. He tells her not only did he leave his phone at home, Claudette’s phone died. He says they spent the night in the car until some joggers came by in the morning and helped them. Once again, Maxie asks if Claudette got a flight out of there, and he says not exactly.

Griff asks Elizabeth what happened with her Franco date. She says it ended up with Franco being hauled off as a person of interest in the latest hospital death.

Lucy says she felt being in cosmetics was shallow and now she’s a realtor, which is a much more honest and thoughtful business. Lucy didn’t say that last part; that’s my sarcasm talking. She says Morgan has chosen a great place for them and all Kiki has to do is co-sign the lease. Kiki is speechless, but not in a good way.

Nathan tells Maxie that Claudette is still in Port Charles. He says he accused her of arranging them getting stranded, she got mad, stomped off and fell, aggravating an old injury. Maxie asks where Claudette is and he says she’s at the hospital.

Claudette wanders around the examining room, obviously not hurt. She takes out her phone and messes with it. Griff’s picture comes up.

Griff asks Elizabeth if she thought Franco’s behavior was weird and she says not any more than usual. She says the date was actually going well until he got arrested. She thought they might have something between them.

Franco says as an artist, he’s always been out there. Scotty says he drew pictures of everyone who was lethally injected and asks why. Franco says who knows why an artist does what he does, and lists various artists who painted the dead. Scotty says none of them were accused of murder. He says the only way he can get Franco out of this is changing the venue to Mozambique. Franco says he’s not the killer and asks if Scotty believes him.

Elizabeth tells Griff about the vial that Franco was found with, and his explanation. Griff asks if Elizabeth thinks Franco could be responsible for the murders.

Lucy shows Kiki pictures of the apartment. I guess the rent is free, since she never mentions how much it costs. Lucy pulls out papers and asks Kiki to sign. Kiki says she needs to talk to Morgan privately. She asks Morgan what’s going on and why he did all this without telling her. He says he wanted to surprise her. Lucy pops back up and tells them to take their time. Her other client, Dillon, is there.

Scotty asks again if the police will find anything. Franco says the police can make something out of nothing and he has a lot of weird objects in his studio. He asks if, as his father and lawyer, Scotty believes him, and Scotty says he’s trying. Franco wants to call Elizabeth.

Elizabeth recounts all the stuff Franco said to the police and how uncooperative he was. Griff says that’s no indication of guilt. She says she needs clarity on the timeline. Her phone rings. It’s Scotty. He asks if she’ll talk to Franco.

Maxie reviews the evening. Nathan says he knows how it seems and she asks if they had any sweet bonding moments. Valerie interrupts, asking Nathan to help with the questioning. Claudette pops out of nowhere, telling Maxie they slept in the front seat, leaning against each other. Yes, now she’s wandering around the hospital.

Morgan asks Dillon if he’s looking for a new apartment. He says he is and asks if Morgan and Kiki are moving in together. Morgan says yes, but Kiki is like, we have to talk about this. Lucy monopolizes Dillon and Kiki takes Morgan somewhere they can talk.

Maxie tells Claudette that she’s transparent and asks how it feels to have her plans fall apart. Claudette asks what plans. Maxie says just because Nathan didn’t leave her in the dust, doesn’t mean he wants to get back together. Maxie asks if she’s ever going to get the hell out of their lives.

Nathan tells Valerie she’s officially off duty and asks if he needs to tell her it’s an order. I think she’s been at the hospital 72 hours straight now. He goes in the room where Elizabeth and Griff are and says he has some questions.

Franco says Elizabeth won’t talk to him. Scotty says he should make Elizabeth off-limits since she has a son with Jason. He says if Franco gets out of this mess, he should stay away from her and asks what happened with Nina. Franco says that Nina told the commissioner she thinks there’s a part of him he can’t control. He says no one believes in him.

Nathan asks if Griff saw anyone suspicious. He says no, that he ran into Elizabeth and they talked for a while. Elizabeth talks about how they discussed Franco. Griff says after that, he took Maxie for coffee to calm her down and then they both went home. A light bulb comes on over Elizabeth’s head, and she says that when they found Miss Prescott, Amy said the monitors were off, but earlier, Amy had checked on her and everything was fine. She says after that, Franco was with her. Griff says she may have just exonerated Franco. Please don’t tell me the killer is Amy. If so, it’s kind of lame.

Morgan is a total idiot, so he doesn’t understand why Kiki is upset, especially since they’ve lived together before. She says um…they didn’t talk about it. She says couples discuss things and consider each other’s feelings, because Morgan needs the simplest social skills explained to him. He asks if she thinks it’s impulsive and the entire viewing audience agrees that it is. Except that one guy. Morgan says go ahead and say it, she thinks he’s off his meds. If she doesn’t, I do.

Dillon tells Lucy that he needs some more time and will be in touch. He runs into Valerie and asks if she’d like coffee. She tells him high octane.

Nathan says Franco will be free to go and thanks them for their time. Griff asks if Elizabeth is starting to believe in Franco.

Scotty tells Franco he’s been released. He says that someone figured out the timeline didn’t match and he could’t have turned off the monitors.

Claudette tells Maxie that Nathan insisted she get checked out and as soon as she does, she’s out of there. She says Nathan talked about his love for Maxie and they got the closure they needed. She adds that she and Nathan did have a real marriage though, and have memories together. Claudette tells her about listening to their wedding song together. Maxie says the secret to winning is to get the opponent to stop playing their game and start playing your own, and that it’s all going to stop. She knows what Claudette wants and she’s not going to get it. She tries to get Claudette to sit in a wheelchair and they argue. Nathan walks up and asks what the what?

Maxie says she was just offering Claudette a ride to the airport. Claudette says she hasn’t been seen by a doctor yet and Nathan says she shouldn’t be walking around. She gets in the chair and he pushes it back to the examining room. She’s all like all, oh this hurts, now. She says she didn’t mean to upset Maxie and Nathan says she never means to do any of the things she does. He leaves her in the room and goes back to Maxie.

Maxie says Claudette set her up and she fell for it. She says Claudette wants them to turn on each other and she’s done playing Claudette’s game

Griff enters the examining room. Surprise!

Nathan asks Maxie if she loves him. He says they should make it official and they should get married today. What? No dress drama? He has no idea what he’s asking.

Scotty sees Lucy who tells him real estate sucks. He tells her about getting Franco released and suggests cocktails at the MetroCourt. She says she ran up a tab there and has to stay away. He suggests martinis at a private place he knows. She’s in. I’m guessing it’s his place.

Morgan says every time he’s hopeful about their future, Kiki thinks he’s off his meds. She says look at the way he’s acting and that she thinks he’s having a manic episode.

Dillon tells Valerie his love woes. She says she’s dating someone unattached now, so there’s hope. He says he’s going out with someone too, but it’s casual. His phone rings and he says maybe it’s not so casual after all. Darby must have changed her Facebook status.

Elizabeth sees Franco. She says he’s glad he’s out and he says him too. He says he noticed there was no call or text from her and he gets it. He’s going to leave her alone and tells her to tell Jake he’s sorry and he’ll miss him.

Tomorrow, Spencer has a visitor, Claudette hugs Griff, and Theo asks Nina if she’s having second thoughts.

Little Women: LA

Christy and family go to an animal sanctuary to see if it’s a good fit for Autumn’s independent study. Christy says she’d rather have her daughter chasing after dingos than dumb boys. She talks to Todd and her mother about Briana and how Briana was upset about Christy talking to her family. In her interview, Christy says they both used to be close to their families, but since this isn’t the case with Briana anymore, she doesn’t know if they can be friends. We flash back to Briana telling Christy she’s dead to her, so I think this decision has already been made. Christy says when Briana falls, she’ll be there. The Jackson Five play in my head.

Jasmine is out shopping with Briana and tells her that a couple months after Briana has her baby, she’s got a play date. Her way of telling Briana she’s pregnant. She wants to throw Briana a baby shower. She says if Briana wants her to, she’ll invite Matt. Briana okays to inviting all the guys, as well as Terra and Tonya. Christy is a no. Briana tells Jasmine about her talk with Christy and how it didn’t end well.

Terra and Elena are going to Tonya’s for girls night. Elena is late and Terra says she doesn’t seem to be taking the preeclampsia seriously. She says pregnancies for little people are risky enough. Tonya tries calling Elena and it goes to voicemail. She leaves a message, but Terra is worried, saying death is one of the side effects of preeclampsia. Preston calls back, saying they’re at the hospital.

Elena’s blood pressure was high and she ended up having the babies early. They SKYPE with Elena. Eleana says the doctors were afraid she was going to have a stroke, but her blood pressure is coming down now. They’ve named the babies Xavier and Cairo. She says one baby needs to have oxygen and both will have to stay at the hospital a while. They still have to do a blood test for dwarfism.

Christy meets with Jasmine at a restaurant. Jasmine doesn’t want her to hear about the baby shower from someone else and just show up. She asks for Christy’s side about the conversation with Briana. Christy claims she told Briana’s family nothing and she didn’t cross the line. Jasmine says she thinks Christy did cross the line with the family. She says now isn’t the time to break up the marriage that Briana has been fighting for. Christy tries to justify everything and makes it all about her. Jasmine says if she wants Briana in her life, she has to slow her roll. In her interview, Christy acts high and mighty, and like she’s the only one who knows Briana.

Jasmine tells her that Briana doesn’t want her involved with the shower at all. Christy says, check, please.

Briana goes shopping for some healthy food with her friend Lisa. She’s been on a low fat high fiber diet and has to say good-by to food that tastes good and hello to kale. They stop for something to drink and talk about the upcoming baby and baby shower. In her interview, Briana says Matt has been a gem ever since she got sick. Lisa is hesitant about Terra and Tonya being invited. She’s afraid she won’t be able to hold her tongue if they pick on Briana or Matt.

Terra and Tonya, along with their guys, go to the arcade and play Skeeball, reminding me of my great aunt who was a Skeeball champ. In her interview, Tonya says it’s been close quarters for her and Kerwin, so she’s glad to get out with another couple. Terra tells Tonya about them being invited to the shower. In her interview, Terra says she’ll probably never forgive Matt for the things he said at the reunion, but she hopes she and Briana can move forward.

Kerwin complains about closet space. Then he complains about Tonya’s ex and business partner still having some inventory she needs. Terra tries to intervene, and Kerwin says he doesn’t know what the problem is. In her interview, Terra says she totally understands Kerwin’s viewpoint.

Jasmine is nervous about the shower. She wants everyone to be on their best behavior, which is probably asking too much. Jasmine asks Tonya if she’s heard from Christy. Tonya says no, and Jasmine says if she shows up, she’ll have to ask her to leave. She tells them that she invited Matt and Tonya says she’s going to act like he’s invisible. Nice.

Matt and Briana arrive. Briana is hoping this is an opportunity to start fresh. Terra tells Briana that Elena had the babies, but everything is fine. Briana feels out of the loop, and feels badly, since Elena and Preston have been so supportive.

Jasmine starts a game. It’s a race to see who can finish the apple juice in a baby bottle first. Tonya wins and Kerwin says they’ll discuss it later. Terra thinks they’re all getting along because Christy isn’t there. Lisa asks Terra and Tonya how they’re feeling about Matt. Tonya says they’re supportive of Briana and Lisa says she was wondering about that. Terra thinks it’s inappropriate that Lisa is asking questions hoping to catch them saying something bad about Matt.

Terra tells Briana that she wants the best for her, regardless of how she might feel about Matt. Briana says she’s not okay with what he did, but she wants to give the marriage a chance. Terra says she doesn’t want to ruin the relationship over something that wasn’t her business to begin with. In her interview, Terra says she never wants the last exchange between them to be negative. They hug it out.

Jasmine says Briana and Matt wanted a special way to tell everyone whether they’re having a little or average-sized baby. She brings out two huge balloons – one for Briana and one for Matt. Whichever one has the confetti is the baby size they’re going to have. Briana gets the confetti, so a little person it is.

Terra takes Tonya aside because she’s being vocal about a little person being a blessing. Tonya says an average-sized child might take advantage of Briana and if Matt leaves the picture, it might be easier for her to deal with a little baby. Terra says she might have an average-sized child, but Tonya says she and Joe are totally different. She says Briana isn’t strong and demanding of respect the way she and Terra are. Terra keeps bringing it back to her own situation and Tonya keeps telling her it’s not the same.

Elena is bummed because the twins are in the hospital. She and Preston are staying at a nearby hotel. They look at a video of the babies. So tiny and cute! Elena starts to cry. Preston tells her the babies are doing good and getting stronger every day. She says the nursery is empty, but he says it won’t be for long. She says she knows the twins have to be taken care of, but she feels helpless. She’s grateful to be a mom, but wishes she could have protected them better than this. She says it’s not easy to look at them in glass boxes.

No preview for this show.

Shahs of Sunset – Reunion Part Two

Andy asks some fan questions. Mike is asked about his new business, since he seems to have a different one every season. They talk about Kitson going out of business after the requested a billion shoes from him. Mike says you can get the shoes through his website now. Some Instagrams of Mike’s are shown. Mike says for the most part, reactions are positive, but he tends to focus on the bad stuff, even if it’s just one comment among hundreds.

Asa says Nordstrom has contacted her about her caftans. Andy asks about diamond water, which has expanded to Dubai. I dunno. I’ve never seen it in Shoprite or Staples. Andy moves to Reza’s stand-up act, saying sometimes when you’re funny situationally, it doesn’t always translate to a comedy club. Everyone is supportive though, and Reza says he’s working on a new project where he’s the Persian Medea.

They talk about Asa’s couples project and Andy says she’s not very forthcoming about her own relationship. She says Jermaine doesn’t want to be on camera and Andy asks if the others resent that she keeps things private when all their stuff is aired. Asa says a lot of people aren’t real about a lot of things and brings up MJ’s real estate “job.” MJ says her real estate transactions were left on the cutting room floor. Asa says it’s not really how she makes her money. Well, how does she make her money? MJ says Asa isn’t open about Jermaine, while she has nothing to hide.

MJ tells Asa to bring it on. Asa alludes to the fact that MJ has something to hide. She tells MJ she’s being dramatic and MJ says she’s being an a-hole. GG suggests Asa will have a longer lasting relationship because she keeps it private. Moving on. Andy asks why GG and Shervin never dated. He asks if they’ve ever hooked up and Shervin says it’s a close relationship, but it’s not like that. Andy asks what the difference is between enabling and being a good friend. Shervin says he might have crossed the line a few times.

Reza says GG has nothing going on in her life and all she does is drink and strategize on how to create drama. MJ says she wakes up early, takes a pill and goes back to sleep. GG says the pill she takes is for her nausea and asks MJ why she’s turning on her. Shervin says GG is in a different place. He says at one time he was afraid she was going to hurt herself or someone else, but he doesn’t feel that way now.

Andy asks why Shervin plays peacemaker. Reza intimates he’s trying to look good for TV. He says he wishes he could be like that. Andy reads a question about Reza turning on a friend every season. Shervin says he’s had legitimate beefs. GG says Reza attempted to go after Shervin and it failed. Shervin says Reza and Asa didn’t want him on the camping trip and there’s a natural resistance to new people in the group.

Reza says he didn’t want Shervin to come camping because he was afraid he’d be a crutch for GG when she needed to hear the facts. Asa says she was always open to new people, while the others weren’t.

They talk about Jessica and Reza says it’s been easier for him to be friends with Mike without her trash talking all of them. We flash back to various tumultuous points in Mike and Reza’s relationship. Mike says Reza is like his brother. Reza says that he never juded what was happening, but he didn’t want Mike to be worried about telling him things. He says Mike doesn’t want to lose his luster. He says Mike’s heart is pure gold and he was trying to fix things before the group found out about them. We flash back to all that.

Mike says MJ pries into situations a little too much. He says he gets that she loves him, but he needs to be comfortable before he tells them something. GG wants to know why he’s okay with Reza sticking his nose into things. Mike says there’s a difference between a man/man bond and a man/woman bond. He says he was angry at first, but they have a different relationship, and girl talk is different than guy talk. MJ says she doesn’t think Mike respects women. He says he comes from a woman who was both mother and father to him, and he couldn’t be more respectful. Asa says Mike just feels closer to men. Mike says he’d stand up for MJ in a heartbeat, but she needs to be more sensitive to what he’s going through.

Andy asks GG about RA. She says it’s been six years since she was diagnosed, but this past year was the worst. We flash back to her treatments and Reza’s disbelief. Reza says if GG would change her lifestyle, she wouldn’t need chemo infusions. Reza says he investigated this for himself. Shervin interjects that he went to treatments with her. He explains that the treatments she gets slow down the progression, but it’s not the same kind of chemo that cancer patients get.

Reza says GG is a bad person who makes up stories because she has nothing going on in her life. Andy brings up the video that GG claimed to have of Reza. She says the guy he was supposedly with told her about it. Reza says that she told him she had the video. She tells him to shut up and he calls her mentally ill. Andy wonders what difference an old video would matter anyway. GG says that there are plenty of things that Reza involves himself in where he shouldn’t. Andy asks why GG threatened Reza, and she says because he was playing dirty, she wanted to play dirty.

Asa says to say something so extreme about a friend is a lot. A fan wonders if GG was hurt at some point and that’s why she hurts others. Andy asks if someone hurt her and she says she’s not here to talk about that. Reza gets snarky and tells her that instead of dealing with her RA, she should deal with her mental illness. Someone should clue Reza in that if he thinks GG is really mentally ill, he’s going about this all wrong. And if he doesn’t, he needs to stop using that as an insult. I also didn’t like that he equated it with being “a bad person.” He really surprised me this season

Andy asks about Reza and the apology letters. Reza says he thought if GG heard everything out loud, she would have an epiphany and really be sorry for the things she’s said and done. GG says he’s never talked to her from his heart and he snarks some more. We flash back to the scene of GG going after Reza after the art show. Reza says if he did that, all hell would break loose, and she says he did it to her emotionally. Andy asks if GG is sorry she brought up the video. She says yes, and that she harbors no resentment against Reza.

Reza gets all emotional, saying that she tried to mess with his life when he had a man he loved and just married. He says it did a lot of damage and affected his job and credibility. He basically says she does nothing and she says she does plenty. Reza walks off crying. GG asks if she needs to cry to show that she’s hurt. Asa says GG is always the one who goes there first, really low and really fast. GG says she’s not the one who made fun of someone’s illness. Andy goes after Reza and MJ, who has followed him. He asks them to come back. He has an idea. That Andy, he’s just full of ideas.

What’s bothering me is that Reza keeps repeating that his credibility was tarnished. From a rumor that came from GG? Really? I have no doubt he’s hurt, but no one believes anything she says unless there’s concrete proof.

Andy says they both have to own what they did to each other. Reza sips out of a juice box (juice bag really) and GG apologizes. Reza says something that’s hard to hear with his blubbering. He says he didn’t want to cry and talk like this. He says the whole thing was humiliating and hurtful to Adam. GG says she feels terrible and loves Reza. Andy says they’re both hurt.

GG says she apologizes 100%. Andy says that GG was hurt by Reza’s doubts about her RA and asks if Reza can apologize too. Reza says he’s definitely sorry and GG accepts that. Andy asks if everyone is willing to think GG is on the right track and Reza says he’s hopeful.

Shervin says he’s down with his peeps; Mike says it will be a different Mike next season; Asa wants to be friends with MJ; MJ says it’s not happening; Andy thanks everyone for a great season. Mike and Reza can’t get out fast enough.

Afterward, GG talks to Reza. She talks about feelings and how much she cares about him. She says she doesn’t care if it’s a percent of a percent, and asks if they can fix it. He says right now, he’s emotionally spent, but it’s a possibility. They hug. She says even if he doesn’t want to be friends anymore, she hopes he sees that she’s grown.

And we out. For this season anyway.

The Real Housewives of NYC

The girls discuss The Countess. Ramona thinks it’s bizarre that she’s engaged to a guy who had just slept with one of her girlfriends five minutes ago. Carole asks Sonja how she feels about the whole thing and she says she’ll deal.

The Countess holds court with the other guests. Dorinda joins them first, getting accolades for introducing The Countess to Tom. The rest of the girls come out. Sonja thinks the crowd is kind of iffy, whatever that means. Everyone introduces themselves. In her interview, Ramona says it’s not football and The Countess doesn’t need to block her from Tom, which she totally is. Carole says she wouldn’t have missed the sideshow of Ramona, Sonja, The Countess and Tom in the same room.

Sonja gets her mojo up and says hello to Tom. In her interview, The Countess says she’s secure in her relationship and that Sonja and Tom are friends, as they all are. That’s why she beats a path over to where they’re talking. In her interview, Sonja is surprised that Tom is so distant. I’m not.

Ramona tells another guest how she and Tom met, and says they went out four or five times. Tom says they went to dinner once. She wonders why he’s making stuff up and in her interview, says that’s no way to start an engagement. Sonja flirts with some old guy. She wonders if he has less in his bank account than she does. Tom confuses us all by flirting with Ramona, telling her she smells like grapefruit. I actually read that a grapefruit scent makes a person seem younger. I’m not making that up.

It’s time to do shots, which this group should never do. Ramona claims she doesn’t need a man to dance and demonstrates this theory. In her interview, Carole says Ramona and Tom have an easy-going relationship, but he should be telling The Countess she smells good, not Ramona. Sonja tells The Countess that she and Tom look great together and The Countess rubs it in her face that they’re getting married, like we didn’t know.

A cake that looks like it’s from Costco is presented. Dorinda attempts to make a toast, but she’s pretty drunk, so it barely makes sense.

In the morning, Jules calls the kids, who are at their grandparents’ house. She finds out that Michael isn’t there and she is not thrilled. She calls Michael who’s in New York. He says where else would he be and she suggests with his kids. He says he’s going there later and she says they were asking where he was.

Dorinda wakes Carol, saying she can sleep when she’s dead. In her interview, Dorinda says she’s a morning person, but I think morning people get up earlier than 10 am. Carole tells Dorinda about meeting Tom when Ramona was dating him. She wonders why he’s lying about how many times they went out. Dorinda calls Ramona in to get to the bottom of things.

Ramona tells them about her and Tom’s mini dating history and talks about him drawing a heart with their initials on her hand. Because we’re in middle school. The Countess interrupts, telling them when breakfast will be ready. When she’s gone, Ramona finishes her story, saying after dinner, she went back to his apartment to play backgammon. Carole is like, yeah, right, but Ramona says there wasn’t really any chemistry.

Ramona tells Sonja she can’t imagine how she must feel, since Ramona only dated Tom, but Sonja slept with him. Sonja says she’s happy for them, but sad at the same time. She says she feels badly about The Countess gloating.

Dorinda says something to The Countess about the girls discussing Tom. The Countess says she’s not going to have it. For whatever reason, she focuses on Ramona, getting all pissed off.

Ramona asks Sonja if Tom ever said good-by to her. The Countess bursts in and tells Ramona she’s inappropriate and if she doesn’t shut her mouth, she’s going to throw her over the side of the boat. She says Ramona is making up stories. Ramona says she never talks to the press about who she dates and The Countess is the one who brought it up. Sonja decides to stay out of it.

Carole joins Dorinda and Jules for breakfast. In her interview, Jules says Dorinda should keep quiet.

Ramona tells The Countess she’s perpetuating it because she’s the one who was quoted. She says she doesn’t need her name in the press and The Countess is the one who should shut up. She goes to the breakfast table and tells Dorinda she’s a sh*t stirrer. Yep.

Ramona says The Countess is the one who talked to the press and the press said she was the one sleeping with Tom. She says Sonja never had closure with him and she’s pretty upset. Dorinda says it’s stupid to cry over that. She says she doesn’t know when friends with benefits turned into a relationship. The Countess continues to complain to Sonja.

The girls on deck see a boat of shirtless military guys and go out of their collective minds. The Countess calls Ramona over like she’s a maid. She says she’s sorry she lost her temper, but Ramona needs to apologize for speaking Tom’s name. She tells her to stop talking about Tom. Ramona says there’s nothing left to say. Jules says she hopes when they get to Miami, they can have a good time.

In her interview, Sonja says The Countess just wants to laugh her and Tom off her. Once again The Countess rubs Sonja’s nose in the marriage thing.

On to Miami. Bethenny is already there. In her interview, Bethenny says the day before the engagement party, she got a series of texts that could cancel the engagement. She calls Carole, who’s in the car with Ramona and Jules. Bethenny says she’s glad she wasn’t there. She asks if Tom seemed like he was into The Countess. Bethenny says she has a lot of information that she doesn’t know what to do with, and Carole says it sounds ominous.

The girls arrive at the hotel. There are five rooms for six of them and Dorinda says every vacation starts off with room panic. The Countess sees Bethenny before the others do. Bethenny asks if she’s 100% sure about Tom and she says absolutely. In her interview, Bethenny says The Countess is about to sing Somewhere Over the Rainbow and in the meantime, she has a phone full of hot texts.

Bethenny tries to weasel in some questions, asking if The Countess and Tom have talked about their pasts and if they’re monogomous. The Countess says if they weren’t monogamous, they wouldn’t be getting married. Bethenny asks how she knows she can trust Tom, and The Countess says they’re soulmates. In her interview, The Countess thinks Bethenny is being cagey, not mean, but asking odd questions.

The girls gather for some food. The Countess tells Jules that she thinks Bethenny is being weird because she’s gone through a hellacious divorce.

Ramona and Carole talk to Bethenny. Carole tells her The Countess seemed frazzled, and Bethenny tells her that The Countess had an open marriage before and she asked what the deal is with Tom.

Bethenny says she’s heard that Tom isn’t really wealthy, but only dates wealthy women. She also says he hasn’t been faithful. Ramona tells her not to say that and then asks who it is. Bethenny says Tom was making out with a girl in a bar two days before the party. Ramona wants to pretend it’s not true, but Bethenny says it’s a fact. She says it was at the Regency Hotel and Ramona says he goes there all the time. Bethenny says she shouldn’t be telling them this before saying something to The Countess.

Bethenny asks for a vote as to whether or not she should say something.

… to be continued

Next time, Sonja says she slept with Tom around Thanksgiving, The Countess ponders Bethenny’s questions, Sonja is pissed at Tom, and Bethenny gives The Countess a reality check.
