Since all news happens between 3 and 4 pm, my viewing pleasure was interrupted by everyone involved with today’s arrest patting themselves on the back. I almost got confused. They were thanking so many people, for a minute, I thought it was an awards show. I also kept thinking they were saying IUDs when they were saying IEDs.
General Hospital
So of course, they come back to a commercial. God forbid we miss one of those.
Kiki tells Sasha if she’d known Sasha was free, she would have arranged things. She thinks they should take getting to know each other up a notch now that she’s staying. She asks where Sasha is staying, and Sasha says Nina offered to put her up at the MetroCourt indefinitely, but she’s not sure she’s ready for that level of generosity. Kiki tells her Nina is her landlord. Sasha can stay with her, and accept Nina’s generosity without actually accepting it. Griff comes by, telling Kiki the decision still has to be made, and jets. Sasha says that was cryptic; she’s intrigued. Kiki says all the more reason to move in with her. She can tells Sasha everything she wants to know.
Elizabeth wonders if she held on too tight to Aiden. Why would he feel like the world is unsafe? Franco says, the world is unsafe. She ask why he won’t tell her what’s wrong, and Franco says, he’s a weird kid. Not in a bad way. Weird is awesome; he celebrates weird. He’s different, but hasn’t realized different is the best. It’s nothing she did or didn’t do. Before they met, he wasn’t comfortable in his own skin. He doesn’t want Aiden to go through that, but Elizabeth says it’s not going to be solved in one afternoon. Having Franco on their side means they’ll be okay.
Lulu tells not-Doc that her first article sparked an online debate about the nature of evil. Not-Doc says, nature versus nurture, and Lulu says, or both. She wants to know why; what triggered him. Was it his environment or experiences, or something inside waiting to be set off? Not-Doc says the question for her readers should be who defines evil? The person passing judgement or the evil-doer. Did Ryan accept other people’s definition, define it himself, or was he someone who cast off social norms?
Ava introduces herself to Sasha, saying she’s Kiki’s mother. Sasha says Kiki didn’t tell her that her mom was in town. Ava says she wouldn’t. Unfortunately, they’re estranged. Sasha says she’s sorry, and Ava says, that’s what comes from sleeping with her mother’s boyfriend. Sasha says, her and Griff? Ava says she was more serious than he was, so it’s no surprise he moved on. Kiki is very casual. She should have realized sex was all he was after. She says she’s embarrassing herself, and they’ll work things out. In six months, Kiki won’t even remember Griff. In the meantime, she’s glad Kiki met Sasha, and hopes they talk again. She leaves, and Sasha is like, whoa.
Elizabeth and Franco talk about wedding plans. She asks if he thinks the flowers should be formal or wild. He says, both. She asks if he’s being diplomatic, and he says the formal flowers represent her beauty, and the wildflowers represent her passionate side. **ava about * thing but aiden decide if doesn’t get ird of prob have fun maybe they have fn tonight
Sam and Spinelli pose as representatives for the insurance company and visit Margaux’s mother, Jeanette. Sam says it must have been a loss for her daughter. Losing her father must have left a hole in her daughter’s life. Jeanette says she missed him. Spinelli asks her to forgive them, asking so many questions when she’s had a personal loss. Sam adds, but they need to clear up the claim. Spinelli says he died in 1985, and she reported him missing in 1985. She stopped paying the premiums, so the policy lapsed. Jeanette says, so she gets nothing? She waited all this time to find out he’s dead, and gets nothing? Sam says they don’t mean to disappoint her, and Spinelli tells her the time of death is taken seriously. Jeanette says they claimed they wanted to help. How is this helping? Spinelli tells her if she can prove he died between January and August, when the policy was active, they could award the claim. The authorities go by the year. Jeanette says, he died in March, and Sam asks how she can be sure. Jeanette says she just knew. She knew the moment he was walking out the door, he was headed to death.
At Ferncliff, Carly says the place looks better, and Laura wants to ask the head nurse about reform. Mary Pat walks in, telling someone, just because she lost her job doesn’t mean their days numbered. She sees Carly, and says, back so soon, Caroline? It was inevitable. Carly says she’s back with a visitor’s pass, like Mary Pat, and she’s brought a friend. Laura introduces herself, saying her husband is a psychiatrist there. Mary Pat says she’s very familiar with him, and knows all about his patients. He believes in treating violent psychopathic cases with kid gloves. A patient she warned him about repeatedly pumped her full of drugs. She could have had an allergic reaction or died. Carly says apparently, she didn’t do a good job. The new head nurse comes in, and tells Mary Pat to get her stuff and turn in her visitor’s pass. Carly says she was tortured for weeks; being fired is too good for Mary Pat. Laura says she’s looking forward to the tour. The nurse tells them her name is Kay, and Laura says both she and Carly have questions. An institution that would hire someone like Mary Pat has a lot to answer for, and she’ll be asking.
Not-Doc tells Lulu society makes a complex agreement of societal norms; what’s right and wrong. Psychopaths tend to refuse to abide by the contract. Lulu wonders if they believe what they’re doing is right, and not-Doc says, Ryan would say he was unencumbered by the confines of conventional wrong, so there are no consequences. Lulu asks if he didn’t care, or did he enjoy it because he believed society was wrong. Is someone like him curable? Not-Doc says she’s asking the wrong question. What he’d ask is do they wish to be cured?
Kiki gives Elizabeth a small token for her support in Kiki going up against Dr. Bensch. I miss what she says it is, but it looks like a Dr. Bensch chew toy. Elizabeth says she saw Kiki and Griff’s picture in The Invader, and Kiki says she didn’t even know about it until it was pointed out. Elizabeth says, by her mom? and Kiki says her mother was furious, and felt betrayed. Elizabeth thinks it’s a good thing she and Griff are distancing themselves. Kiki says, sooner or later, Ava drives everyone away who cares. She’ll drive Avery away too eventually. She should feel sad, but doesn’t anymore.
Ava sees Franco at the hospital. He says she seems chipper, and she says she’s in a good mood, thanks to Doc. Franco didn’t realize she was a regular. She says she finds therapy to be extremely liberating. He’s encouraging her to own her feelings, and stop apologizing for who she is. Franco says she spends a lot of time doing that. Ava says they betrayed her, and she’s the person at fault. He suggests making amends, but she says Doc doesn’t feel that way, and he’s encouraging less remorse. Franco wonders if it’s a long-term reverse psychology ploy, but Ava says he wants her to explore her anger and desire for revenge. She has natural impulses, and it’s not awful to feel how she’s feeling. France asks if she’s being forthcoming. He knows her, and encouraging her to explore her rage is like giving a pyromaniac a flamethrower, and telling them to play with it. Tell him that she’s not thinking of burning down Kiki.
Sam asks Jeanette how she knew Vincent was going to die, and Jeanette says, he had dangerous clients. When he didn’t come home, she feared the worst. She went to the police the next day, but either they didn’t take her seriously, or they were working for the same people. They suggested he walked out, but he wouldn’t have left Margaux; he adored her. She stopped paying the premiums because she believed he was dead, and if she was right about who did it, they’d never recover the body. Spinelli says after seven years, she could have had him declared legally dead, file a claim, and move on. She shows them a picture of Margaux as a little girl, and says that’s why she didn’t. How could she look at that face and tell her that her father was gone forever. Margaux thought he was coming back. Spinelli tells Sam that he feels unwell, and Sam asks if he took his medication. He tells Jeanette that he’s hypoglycemic, and it helps when he takes a pill. He ask if he can trouble her for a glass of water. She takes him into the kitchen. Sam puts gloves on, and snoops. She finds a locked drawer in the desk.
She gets it open, and rifles through it, finding a stack of letters tied with a ribbon in the back. Spinelli yells, thank you; it did the trick, and Sam puts the letters in her briefcase. Spinelli says he’s feeling better thanks to Jeanette’s orange juice. Jeanette asks if they can do this another time. It takes a lot out of her talking about Vincent, and she’s not sure there’s anything else she can tell them. Sam thinks they have enough information; they’ll call if they have any questions. Spinelli says they’ll give her claim to the higher-ups. Jeanette asks if she could still get a payout, and Spinelli doesn’t see why not. It’s a heartbreaking tale, and to weigh it against a few unpaid premiums would be heartless. Jeanette is surprised they would take her story into consideration. She’s never heard of a special effort to give money. Sam says, it happens all the time, and Spinelli says they didn’t come to debunk her claim, but find out the truth, so she can get what’s rightfully hers. Wow. If Jeanette believes that fairytale, I have some land in Florida for her to buy.
Ava tells Franco that Doc dares to test her limits, and inspires her to set some. While she can fantasize to her heart’s content about Kiki and Griff, they’re destruction won’t be at her hands. Franco asks if she’s hired someone else, but she says they’ve been left to their own devices. He says, impressive. Doc is a genius. Who knew he’d get through to two people like them?
Griff sits at Sasha’s table, saying he must have missed Kiki. Sasha says she had an errand to run, but they’re touching base later. Griff is glad Sasha is staying, and Sasha says she’s feeling better about it all the time. Griff says, it means a lot; family. Especially now. She ask why he means, and he says Kiki’s like is complicated. Sasha says that’s pretty much what Kiki’s mother told her.
Laura tells Kay that she’ll be seeing the areas Carly described in her statement. Kay says she’s not at liberty to discuss the statement, but Laura has it right there. It helps to know people. She wants a complete tour, including the rooms. Kay says a lot of the patients are criminally insane. She can’t allow access to the patients for Laura’s own safety. Laura says her daughter is the lead reporter on the article. Does Kay want Laura to give her a quote on how they were shut down and stonewalled? The public will ask what they’re hiding. Kay says she’s simply fooling policy. Laura says Kay can answer her questions and give her a proper tour. It’s up to her.
Griff says Ava spoke to Sasha? and Sasha says, she likes to share. Ava told her way more than she should know. Griff says Ava tends to exaggerate. Kiki is more realistic. Sasha says he’s part of it, but he says, only peripherally. They have to work it out between them. He doesn’t want to get overly involved.
Ava tells Franco she’s not going to torture Kiki. He’s glad, and Ava says she’ll live to regret it. Doc has encouraged her to move beyond regret. Franco says it’s much healthier to work it out through fantasies, instead of being stupid in real life.
Elizabeth tells Kiki, after what Ava put them through, she and Griff are entitled to some happiness. Kiki says, if her mother taught her anything, it was not to let anyone keep her down. Not even her mother.
Lulu thanks not-Doc. She can’t wait to share the information with her mom. Mental health and reform are at the top of her campaign platform. Not-Doc says it’s the reason he suggested she run. Lulu says when Laura heard about what happened to Carly at Ferncliff, she went on a crusade. They’re on a fact-finding mission at Ferncliff right now. Not-Doc says he should be there. Lulu thinks that’s sweet, but he’s probably too late. It’s happening as they speak. He says, Laura and Carly are at Ferncliff now? Lulu says she almost feels bad for the staff. If they’re hiding anything, her mom will find out.
Laura tells Kay that she wants to be clear. She’s not leaving until all the doors are opened. Carly says, starting with the room next to the one she was in.
Outside, Spinelli tells Sam that Jeanette was hospitable, and deeply suspect. She shows him the letters, and says they’re love letters – from Skully.
On Monday, Stella has a bone to pick with not-Doc, Michael tells Margaux that he knows nothing, and Mary Pat asks Caroline if she’s going down Memory Lane.

General Hospital
Laura lights candles for a romantic dinner. Not-Doc comes downstairs, saying he finally conquered the bug that’s been plaguing him, and is feeling like his old self. She says it’s music to her ears, and turns on a song. She asks if recognizes it, and he says how could he not? She tells him too bad they couldn’t dance to it at their wedding. Not-Doc talks about the blizzard that thwarted their plans like he was there. She thought maybe they could begin second their honeymoon with the dance they missed – or is it too late? What has he done with her husband?
Elizabeth knocks on Sam’s door. She asks if she can come in.
Franco sees Drew on the docks. He loves the dying light there, and takes out a sketchpad to capture it. Drew says he’ll leave Franco to it, but Franco says Drew looks like he could use a friend, and that’s what he is.
Jason gives Spinelli’s research on Vincent Marino to Sonny. He says Sonny was right. DA Dawson’s father was no innocent victim.
Nelle sees Brad, and approaches him. She says, hi, baby, and everyone stares at Brad.
Laura tells not-Doc that he’s not the man she married. He asks what she means, and she says he’s different. He says he’s feeling better, but it’s clear something is wrong. he says she’s right. He froze when saw the trouble she went to because he can’t stay. He was looking forward to celebrating her homecoming at last, but a patient of his is in a dire state, and he’s duty bound to check on them. Laura laughs, and says she certainly understands his dedication. She wouldn’t have it any other way. Not-Doc says he doesn’t deserve her. She asks what time he’ll be back, and he says it could be quite late, but promises to make it up to her. He opens the door to Lulu and Charlotte. Lulu says Charlotte insisted on spending time with her grandmother. Doc pats Charlotte on the head, tells her to have fun, and jets. Laura asks if Charlotte is really her granddaughter. She’s taller and so beautiful.
Elizabeth apologizes to Sam, saying she won’t stay long. Some things are better talked about in person. It’s about Drew.
Franco says this is where he and Drew resurfaced after Jim tried to bury them. Drew says, it was a long swim. Franco says he kept wanting to quit, but if he died, that meant Jim would win, and Drew would miss him. Wouldn’t he? Drew just wishes his son could do the same.
Jason tells Sonny some of the old files aren’t digitized, but what they know is Margaux is mistaken about her father. She said he was trying to quit the business, but it doesn’t fit with what Sonny remembers. Sonny says Marino was always flashing cash around, and loved being Skully’s consigliere. Jason says he was taking on a case that was likely to go to the Supreme Court, and Sonny says there’s no way he’d walk away from something that high profile. Jason says he’d also just cosigned with Skully on a beach house in the Hamptons. He wanted more, not less, and was getting in deeper. Sonny says Margaux’s whole perception of him is built on a lie.
Brad tells Nelle the baby’s name is Wiley. She says she hardly recognizes him; he’s grown so much. Carly asks how she could recognize him or know that he’s grown? Isn’t it the first time she’s seen him?
Laura can’t get over how grown up Charlotte is. She says she’ll tell Doc to stop patting her on the head. Lulu says she’s fine with Charlotte being a child a while longer. Laura brought Charlotte something from Paris. It’s a doll, but Charlotte says she doesn’t play with dolls anymore; she’s too old. Lulu tells her that’s no way to act, but Laura says, it’s okay. She happens to have a more appropriate gift for her more sophisticated and beautiful grandchild. She gives Charlotte an art book, and Charlotte wants to read it right now. Lulu thinks she should at least talk to Laura for a minute, but Laura says it’s fine. Charlotte sits to read, and Laura says, it’s just a doll, but Lulu says, it’s more than that;she’s growing up so fast, and Dante is missing all of it. When she needs her husband the most, he’s not available. Laura knows the feeling.
At Ferncliff, not-Doc/Ryan asks how his favorite patient is. Real Doc says he’s not Ryan’s patient; he’s his brother. Ryan asks if he can’t be both. Doc says he tried to help Ryan. He’s the one who belongs here. Ryan says, a wise man once told him – no, wait, it was Doc – the road to recovery begins with admitting there’s a problem.
Elizabeth says she knows Sam is one of the small circle who know about Oscar’s illness. Sam says Drew wanted someone he could trust and can talk to. Elizabeth is glad he told her. He can’t handle this by himself; that will only make it more difficult. She says Oscar is refusing the experimental treat, retreating from his friends, and especially his parents. Sam says, the word cancer can turn your life upside down. That must be why Drew came by after the memorial, but he didn’t stay. Jason was there.
Drew tells Franco when he first met Oscar, he was just a random teen who was hanging around with Josslyn. Kim was just a doctor at GH. He had no idea Oscar was his son. Franco says now Oscar calls him dad. Drew says they were just getting to know each other, and Oscar was liking him; no small feat. Now he’s hearing words like oncologist and experimental drug trial. Franco assumes Oscar knows Drew would trade places with him, but Drew says, it’s not that simple. He wishes he could regain the memories of the how he used to be – not for him, but for Oscar. He knows it bothers Oscar, not knowing about things like how Drew handled high school. He wants to give Oscar his history. Drew says what if he told Franco that maybe he could get his memories back. Oscar wouldn’t just know Drew’s name, but he could hand over the history of who he is, so Oscar could know who he is.
Nelle says she recognizes Wiley from the photos Brad posted online. Carly is surprised she’s allowed access. Nelle says her lawyer petitioned for it. She is presumed innocent. Michael says, not for long. She asks if she can hold him, but Chase says they can’t allow that. Brad didn’t know her trial was today. He’s there to fill out a passport application for Wiley. He’s sorry it ended this way for her. Nelle says they can’t all have happy endings. Carly says it’s her last chance to tell them what she wanted to say; her big moment. She tells Nelle to take it. When she walks in, her attorney will dictate her every move. What was her big announcement? Michael suggests she say it now.
Elizabeth doesn’t know why she’s surprised. Sam says it’s none of her business. Elizabeth says she’s not presuming to tell Sam how to feel or what do where Jason is concerned, but other people tend to get trampled. Drew needs all the support he can get. Sam says she was willing to give it, but Drew made it clear that he can’t turn to her. Elizabeth thinks that comes back to Jason, and Sam asks if Elizabeth came there to tell her to stay away from him for Drew’s sake.
Franco asks if Drew thinks there’s a way to get back his memories. Drew says, no; it’s more like a hypothetical situation. What would Franco do? (WWFD) Franco says if it poses a threat to who he is or what he has right now, it’s not worth it. Drew says the risk is minimal. Franco says, there has to be a catch, and Drew says, there always is. He’d have to give up information about Jason and Sonny that will put them away for a long time. Franco asks if that’s something he could do.
Sonny suggests Jason not jump to conclusions. Maybe Marino was acting like he was loyal, and looking for a way out. Skully found out, and Marino got whacked. All Skully told him was that he had a problem that needed taking care of, and Sonny could prove himself. It never occurred to him that Skully had a hidden agenda. He was a kid, and ambitious. He didn’t think that far ahead. Jason says there’s a reason why Skully wanted Marino dead, and why he had Sonny pull the trigger.
Nelle says she knows how much what she has to say will mean to all of them, especially Michael. Michael says she doesn’t affect him anymore. She says it should matter to him that she’s not being found guilty. Under the advice of her legal counsel, she’s pleading nolo contendere. Michael says that means she’ll accept the charge without admitting her guilty. She says, surprise! She’s spared him the ordeal of testifying. Dredging up old memories of his mistakes and failings. He’s welcome.
Lulu tells Laura that she gets that Dante is working undercover, and it’s not easy to call. But when he does, they usually end up arguing about their career choices. When they hang up, she feels even further apart. Even better, her boss walked in on their last phone call. It wasn’t his fault; she was in his office, but she was so upset, she couldn’t hide it. Laura says she supports Lulu’s choice to work for Peter, but given his history, she can’t blame Dante for his concern. Lulu says Peter is nothing like his father. He’s on her side, and has encouraged her every step of the way. Laura says they have to pray Dante comes around. Lulu says they have no way to talk it out. It couldn’t have come at a worse time. Dante just started working well with Chase. One call, and he says yes to a dangerous assignment, without even talking to her. Laura says she got the impression their marriage was solid. Lulu says he didn’t take it because of problems with them. She thinks it offered an escape hatch at the wrong moment. Dante was devastated by Nathan’s death. He couldn’t resist being someone else for a while. She can’t believe he left her with all of this. They should be working through it together. How can she help him with his grief if he’s not there. The longer they’re apart, the more she wonders if he used the assignment as an excuse to stay away.
Doc tells Ryan that he doesn’t have to do this. Ryan says he’s releasing his demons, and living a normal life. Doc says Ryan is living his life. That reminds Ryan. Does Doc have a favorite suit he wears when he’s an expert witness, or special cufflinks? Details are important. Doc says he can still help Ryan. Ryan says he appreciates Doc’s commitment, and points out his own joke. He tells Doc that he’s going to prescribe a new drug regimen. He recently heard that Doc had a mental break after his death. Doc says he thought Ryan was dead, and Ryan says, wishful thinking, but he’s right. There’s only room for one of them out there, and one has to stay at Ferncliff.
Elizabeth thinks it would be easier for Drew not watch Sam and Jason get back together during his ordeal with Oscar. She knows Sam can’t be persuaded though. Just like Elizabeth couldn’t when everyone told her to stay away from Franco. She’s just asking Sam to put the past aside, and work together with her to make things easier for Drew.
Franco thinks Drew is being very specific for a hypothetical situation. Drew reminds Franco that he said he wanted to help. Franco says there was a time when he would have said do anything he can to get rid of Jason, but he thinks they’re good now. He helped Jason break Carly out of Ferncliff. Drew is surprised, and Franco says he was the lookout, the point person, and helped neutralize the guards. Ultimately, Jason got her out, but he couldn’t have done it without Franco. It’s Drew’s life; his memories, and his brother. Franco says he doesn’t get a vote. Drew says other people will be affected, and they have families. Franco says there’s one other person he’s not mentioning in this hypothetical reality – Sam.
Sonny tells Jason, at the time, he thought he’d prove himself; it was way to move up. He didn’t think about it until later that it might be a trap; something to be used as leverage if Skully needed it. Skully never did anything in a straight line. There was always an objective. Jason wonders how Skully would have benefited from killing Marino. Sonny thinks they have to go back to Margaux’s theory. Maybe he was in too deep, and was a threat. But why use a kid to have him killed? Sonny could have frozen or left witnesses Why risk using him?
Chase says there will be no trial. Nelle is accepting the charges. Nelle says she’s not admitting to guilt, but Michael says she already confessed to killing Zack. (Speaking of which, where is Zack’s family? Why didn’t that sister show up?) Chase adds that she also confessed to trying to kill Michael. Nolo contendere means she doesn’t dispute the evidence. Carly says she’s going to prison for a long time. She only regrets she won’t be there to hear the sentence, but she’s glad she’ll never have to see Nelle’s face again. Michael says he was going to ask the court to be lenient, in Jonah’s memory, but now he doesn’t need to be here. Nelle says she knows he’ll do his best to forgive her, but they’ll always be connected. More than he knows. Chase tells her it’s time to learn her fate.
Charlotte pronounces the book Laura gave her, magnifique. She can’t wait to show it to her papa. Lulu says they have to go, but she’s glad Laura is back. Laura is too. Lulu says she’ll be counting on her, and Laura says they’ll be counting on each other. Before they leave, Charlotte comes back to take the doll. Laura and Lulu look at each other.
Doc tells Ryan any resemblance between them is superficial. Ryan says, no argument from him. Doc lacks the fire of true brilliance. Doc tells Ryan that he can’t embody him. He’s going to make mistakes, and his disguise will wear thin to the people who know Doc well. His friends, his colleagues, and most of all – Ryan finishes, Laura. Doc says Ryan is also behind the times. Ryan says, that can happen in a place like this. He tells Doc that Laura is back, and he’s getting along famously with Doc’s wife – in every sense.
Sam says she can see Elizabeth’s heart is in the right place, even though she went about it the wrong way. It must be Franco’s influence. Elizabeth says Franco is a good friend to Drew; they actually talk. Drew needs all of them. There’s nothing more terrifying than the thought of losing a child. Sam hopes they never have to experience it. Elizabeth asks if they’re good. Sam says she would be there for Drew, but he made it clear he didn’t want her to be.
Drew tells Franco that Sam would definitely be hurt if he turned Jason in, but she wouldn’t be the only person affected if Jason went to prison. There’s Jake, Danny, and Monica. Franco says that’s on the downside. Drew says, on the upside, he’d be getting his memories back. Franco says, fair warning; he’s going to lose his hero cred with Oscar if he betrays his brother. Drew doesn’t care about hero cred; he just wants to be there. The treatment will probably be excruciating, but it might extend Oscar’s life. Franco says it’s silly, having this conversation. It’s all hypothetical anyway, right? Drew says, right. It’s hypothetical and silly.
Sonny thinks there’s something they’re not seeing. Jason says he’ll tell Spinelli. Carly walks in, and says they’ll never believe what happened. Nelle was in a rush to get it over with, and skipped the trial. Michael says she pled no contest. Sonny doesn’t like it, thinking the judge might go easy on her. Carly says she was looking forward to testifying. Sonny asks Michael if he’s all right. Michael says he’s fine, but the last thing Nelle said was that they’d always be connected.
Chase says Nelle wasn’t so clever. She asks if he thinks he enjoys losing everything, including her freedom. She got the maximum sentence. He’s satisfied to know justice is finally served. She says that’s a noble speech, but he’s not as virtuous as people might think. He says he learns from his mistakes, and keeps the past in the past. She says, really? and asks if there’s someone new in his life. She’s not as far in the rearview as he pretends. It says something that he hasn’t moved on. They both know he’ll never meet anyone like her. He says, promise? Brad is still there, and Chase says Nelle is on her way to her new home in Pentonville. She asks if she can have a moment with her only remaining friend and his baby.
Carly didn’t get to tell the court about Nelle, but the good news is, she’s on her way to prison. Jason says she can start to heal. Michael too. Carly says Nelle almost got what she wanted. Ferncliff was awful, especially at the end. It almost broke her. Jason says, it didn’t; she won. Carly says it took too long, and cost too much, but Nelle is finally and forever out of their lives. Sonny tells Michael to forget about Nelle. Michael says he’ll try, but she’s right about them being connected. They always will be connected by the child they lost.
Nelle asks if Brad got the passport all set, and wonders why the baby would need a passport. She asks if he and Lucas are going somewhere. He says, no, but they like to travel, and Wiley is portable at his age. Nelle says it looks like she’s going away for quite a while. Brad says he’ll miss her, but she says he has Wiley and Lucas, and there’s nothing stronger than the bond between parent and child. She tells him, cheer up. If she plays her cards right, she might get an early release. The officer takes her away, and Chase follows. Brad makes a worried face to rival Griff’s.
Doc says Ryan may have the ring, but Laura won’t be fooled by him masquerading as her husband. Ryan says it’s the only reason he’s keeping he distance – for the time being. It’s not easy. She’s more beautiful than he thought possible, and happy to be back. Doc tells him to leave her alone. Ryan says he’ll take care of her – one way or another. He walks out, and Doc yells for him to come back.
Laura starts to clean up the dinner that wasn’t. There’s a knock at the door. It’s someone with flowers, and she looks shocked.
Elizabeth goes to the docks. She tells Franco that she got his message. She asks what he’s doing there, besides not sketching. He says he was trying to help Drew. She says, believe it or not, she was doing the same thing. He asks if she had any luck, but she’s not sure. He says, that makes two of them.
There’s a knock at Sam’s door. It’s Drew.
Tomorrow, Not-Doc tells Ava that she’s a remarkable woman, Spencer shows up in Port Charles, and Sam tells Drew that she’s here for him no matter what.
The Real Housewives of Orange County
Everyone is packing for the trip to Jamaica. They meet at the airport. Shannon wonders who goes there at this time of day. Nobody. Vacation Shannon is ready to play. Gina is hyped. She needs tan lines. On the plane Shannon wonders what the odds are that Kelly will go on a date with her seatmate.
Wow. That’s a lot of luggage for a few days and mostly bathing suits. Vicki says it’s hotter than she’s ever felt. The tour guide welcomes them to Jamaica. Vicki asks if he’ll be mad if they all wear Rasta hats with dreads attached, but he thinks it will be hilarious. They discuss conch being an aphrodisiac, and Vicki says she like to have sex four times a day, which is more than any of us needed to know.
They’re greeted with cocktails by hotel manager Ingrid. She tells them that they’re in the prestigious penthouse. Kelly suggests Shannon bunk with Emily and Gina, but she refuses, acting dismissive. In her interview, Gina commends Shannon’s rude balls. Shannon wants to enjoy herself with people she knows well. The penthouses are quite impressive, especially the view. They also have private butlers who probably realize immediately how full their hands will be with this group.
Emily and Gina say Shannon would have loved them. In Kelly’s interview, she says she went through this with Shannon, who was a little standoffish when they met. A little? She wants Shannon to warm up to Gina and Emily, since she enjoys them. In Tamra’s interview, she thinks if Shannon gives them a chance, maybe she’ll like them.
The air-conditioning is broken at the hotel. Vicki says it’s a beautiful hotel, but she can’t see it because her eyeballs are sweating. Tamra calls Eddie. A part of her is nervous and guilty for leaving him. Tamra tells others that Vicki won’t open the windows because of the Zika virus. Kelly says it’s not like Vicki is going to get pregnant. She’d be more worried about STDs before she’d be worried about mosquitoes.
They get in an extremely long golf cart, and ride to a restaurant that has live music. Shannon finds out her house was sold. They’re going to honor the lease until September. In her interview, Shannon wants consistency and structure for her girls. They haven’t even been there a year, and this is stressful for her right now. She tells the ladies that she doesn’t want to get emotional, but her kids will be crushed. Kelly suggests they think of all the people who are starving. Shannon says she gets that, but her kids don’t understand. Kelly thinks Shannon should take them to the projects. She’s done it, and it’s awesome. We flash back to Kelly and Jolie helping in the soup kitchen. In Kelly’s interview, she says Shannon doesn’t understand how fortunate they are. If she did, she wouldn’t complain as much. They toast to the vacation
Tamra asks about Gina’s living situation, and Gina says she and Matt are doing alternate weekends at the house. In her interview, Gina says they each have their own room. The kids aren’t capable of processing what’s going on, and they need to teach them in a way they’re able to understand. Kelly says Gina will have to think of finances. Gina says Matt is going to pay support. Shannon’s face is in her phone, and in her interview, Tamra says everyone listens when Shannon is venting, but she checks out when it’s someone else. Vicki tells Gina that she’ll need life insurance. In Vicki’s interview, she says if Matt died tomorrow, how would Gina go to the store. Everybody dies someday. Call her. Vicki, a walking advertisement for Codo Insurance. Gina insists she’s going to adult well.
Vicki is overheated. Tamra suggests water and fresh air. She says they can be dying in the street, but she’s not going to another hospital. We flash back to the dune buggy accident, and Vicki’s illness in Iceland. Tamra thinks there’s something wrong, and feels Vicki’s forehead. She dumps some water down the front of Vicki’s dress. Kelly mops Vicki’s face. Vicki says she hates them right now. Shannon laughs hysterically, and people are starting to look.
The next morning, Tamra, Emily, and Gina go to the beach, and order cocktails. The others go to the spa. Kelly has a heat rash, and won’t shut up about it. She’s never had a rash before, despite what people might think. They go into a heated salt lounge, where the walls and chairs are made of warmed salt blocks. Shannon forgot her bathing suit, and covers herself with a towel. Kelly babbles some more about her rash.
Tamra says she was tapped out, but enjoyed the dancing. We see a clip of them line dancing, and Shannon unsuccessfully trying to twerk, banging into everyone. Tamra says Shannon will warm up; it takes time. Gina says Shannon tells them everything about her, but doesn’t give sh*t about them. She thinks reciprocation would be nice. Tamra tells them Eddie says she’s an enabler with Shannon, but she feels badly for her. Emily asks why? and Gina says, she is kind of sad. Tamra says every day, Shannon wakes up with a negative comment. It’s been Shannon’s personality, and she’s adapted to it. Emily says, she’s adapted, instead of meeting in the middle. In her interview, Tamra thinks it’s a fine line between support and enabling. She has to flip the switch, but isn’t sure what to do. Emily asks if Tamra thinks it’s Shannon’s marriage or she’s always been like this.
Mineral pools are next. Shannon says she can only go in up to her vagina. Vicki tells her to put on her underwear. Shannon gets out, but Vicki and Kelly drag her back in, towel and all.
At the beach, the girls get in the water. Gina says it’s the first time she’s been cool. Tamra wants to sleep there. Gina says, beach, cocktail, no kids; it’s nice. She thinks the single life is awesome. She’s never going home. Tamra say she’s used to hearing about Shannon’s divorce every day. In Gina’s interview, she says Shannon blocks everyone out, and remains stuck. She doesn’t have to move on. Authentic, good friendships would be helpful in moving forward. The water looks amazing, and if I was there, Shannon’s issue would be the furthest thing from my mind.
Back at the penthouse, Tamra practically sits in the fridge. She tells Shannon and Vicki that they went to the beach, had drinks, and laughed. Shannon wants to know what they laughed at. Vicki wants to know who Tamra laughed with more. Tamra says she had fun with Shannon dancing. Shannon hopes it was worth hurting her ankle, because she’s feeling it today. Ha-ha! Tamra’s face.
In her interview, Gina says she has a major water phobia. We see clip of her not wanting to get on a blow-up raft at the beach. She says if it’s clear water, it’s okay, but murky water, not so much. She’s skeptical about the upcoming river raft excursion. They drink beers on the bus. Shannon sees how muddy the river is, and doesn’t want that sh*t water near her ass. In her interview, Tamra says Vicki should be only one who’s worried about getting the Zika virus, since she has the sh*t luck. In Vicki’s interview, she thinks she and Shannon have crossed over to a better friendship, and says, ah-ha, Tamra, because we’re five.
At the river, a dude serenades them with loud Jamaican sounds. They’re offered a refreshment before they leave, and get Red Stripes. Vicki says, no rapids, and we flash back to another trip where the rafting was pretty rough. Tamra tells Kelly that Vicki and Shannon are new BFFs. She caught Shannon asking Vicki to pair up with her. In her interview, Kelly finds the co-dependency between Tamra and Shannon strange. It’s weird. Tamra says she’d rather go with Kelly than listen to bitching the whole time. Let the Debbie Downers go together.
The ladies are introduced to the raft captains. Gina doesn’t want to get on. She doesn’t think she’ll get bit by something, but is worried the Kraken will come out of the water, as we all do. Shannon says she’s gassy, and Vicki wants her off the boat. Shannon blames the beer. Vicki says, let’s get this party started. Tamra says every time a captain says, ya mon, they have to take a drink. The see the almond trees along the shore, and attempt a round of Row, Row, Row You’re Boat, which doesn’t work out too well. Tamra and Kelly motorboat each other. Kelly needs another drink because there are so many ya mons. Tamra talks about Shannon not being nice, and Kelly says they didn’t talk for two years. You can’t force a friendship, and if she doesn’t want it, it’s her loss.
Tarzan (I’m not kidding; the text says that’s his name) swings by on a rope, and jumps into the water. Kelly wants to do it, but Shannon says she’ll just observe. Emily feels like any experience for something new, she’s in, and jumps into the water. Tamra calls her a bad ass bitch. Kelly hangs upside down, but swings back to shore. She says she already has a rash. Shannon and Vicki go back to the bar. Vicki tells the bartender she had an allergic reaction, and her eyes are shrinking. She’s allergic to Jamaica. She gets the bartender laughing with her ridiculous repartee. Tamra is next on the rope, swings into the water, and inadvertently flashes. In her interview, Gina says it’s Tarzan’s lucky day. Tarzan gives Tamra a high five. That actually happened to me once at the beach when I got slammed by a wave, but luckily no one was around.
Vicki babbles to the bartender about falling in love with a bad guy, and getting her heart broken. Now she’s met an incredible man, but doesn’t want her heart broke. In her Shannon’s interview, she says she doesn’t know how deep Vicki is going to get with the bartender. Vicki doesn’t want go wrong, and is doing the best she can on her side. The bartender has her own sob story, having falling in love like Vicki. Vicki says, you never know what the other person is thinking.
Gina is next on the rope, but she’s not going into water. She flips upside down like Kelly did, and makes it back. She’s proud of herself, even though she didn’t jump in. At least she tried. They go back to the bar, and tell Vicki and Shannon about their mini adventure, and Tamra’s flashing. Emily wants Shannon to do it. Swing on the rope, not flash. Shannon says no. In her interview, Emily says this is the extent of her conversation with Shannon. It gets to the point where you don’t want to try anymore, and feel like a jackass. Shannon wants air-conditioning. Tamra says the water is dirty, but nice and cool. Shannon wants to sit in the van rather than go in the water. She starts to leave, and Tamra asks if it’s something she said. Vicki goes to the van with Shannon, and the rest gather up their things. Tamra says she’s trying to be patient and help Shannon, but she’s getting so frustrated, and she’s going to blow. She asks why Kelly kept her top on, and Kelly she’s wearing a one piece.
Next time, a roller coaster through the woods, Vicki twerk, Shannon has a lot of new in her life, Tamra gets put on the spot, and screams at Shannon to stop screaming.

At her Bubbles and Bru party, Stephanie introduces their favorite ginger family. Brandi takes the mic, and says they’re honored to share the news with all of them about the new baby. Stephanie had everything to do with it, and she loves her. She thanks everyone for being there. LeeAnne is like, what? D’Andra is in total shock, thinking they were getting a divorce. Kameron wonders why they kept it a secret. Brandi asks to talk to LeeAnne in private. In her interview, Brandi says she doesn’t want to live her life fighting over nonsense. She wants LeeAnne to know she’s at a positive place and wants to start fresh. LeeAnne says she felt like they had a friendship, and was devastated. She didn’t know what to expect. At the reunion, Brandi had said she didn’t see a future for them. We flash back to that. She wants find a way to move forward. In her interview, LeeAnne says if Cary is willing to give her a second chance, she should give Brandi one. She tells Brandi they should take the good they had and move forward with it. They hug. Kameron doesn’t know what’s happening. They’re all getting along. Maybe it’s a magical baby, taking all the negativity out of the air.
LeeAnne tells Kameron about her talk with Brandi. Kameron thinks they’re all in a good place, and should go to Beaver Creek in Colorado. Her husband has built a place there. She tells everyone about her idea. In her interview, Brandi says she’s had three hours of sleep since Bruin arrived, and she needs a girls trip.
D’Andra congratulates Brandi. They laugh about how the baby looks like her. Brandi says podcast where S’Andra mentioned Adderall bothered her. She felt attacked. D’Andra says the podcast wasn’t about her, only abuse of the drug in general, but Brandi says D’Andra had been talking about her. In her interview, Cary says D’Andra already told her it was about Brandi, but she’s too chicken sh*t to admit it. D’Andra says that around Dallas, people are taking it like candy. In her interview, D’Andra says she didn’t mention names. She just said Adderall was abused in Dallas. Brandi doesn’t like to be accused of what didn’t do, and says she has a valid source who told her about it. Cary joins them. D’Andra says they’re good. Cary admits to having a conversation with Brandi about it. In her interview, D’Andra affirms she told Cary about Brandi. She says Cary made it worse by telling Brandi. Her issue isn’t with Cary though. She thinks Brandi should have asked her directly, instead of relying on what someone else said. Enjoy your baby and your Adderall. Okay. If she’s so innocent, why would she say it like that? These chicks get mean when they get caught. Brandi isn’t taking it because it’s party time.
Kameron tells Cary that she doesn’t have to be fancy in Colorado. She’s excited about the trip. She sends pajamas to everyone to wear on the private jet. PJs on the pj. Stephanie is also going to Italy, and packing for both trips. She’s doing half the trip to Colorado, and then going to Italy with the family. Brandi talks about D’Andra deflecting and not owning it.
D’Andra isn’t thrilled to go on the trip. She tells Jeremy that obviously Brandi has a problem and is making her look like a bully. This is what happens when you don’t communicate one on one. She says Cary isn’t helping the situation. She’s going to Colorado because she committed to the trip, but she’s not getting pulled into anything.
The Westcott family jet is ready to go. Brandi pops champagne. D’Andra isn’t wearing he PJs. She thinks her butt looks too big in pink stripes, and doesn’t cave to peer pressure when her ass is involved. In her interview, Kameron says she had the monogrammer on call; D’Andra better put them on. She passes out an itinerary, and tells them a private chef is coming. Brandi is going to miss the baby, but looking forward to sleeping in and having some drinks.
They head to Beaver Liquors. It took Kameron a while to get why people laughed about the name. I understand this, since it took me a while to understand why people were up in arms over BrookeShields’s Calvin Klein ad. I thought she just really liked her jeans. The girls have a laugh over the novelty T-shirts. Brandi gets a naughty poster to hang up at Kameron’s house as a prank. Stephanie says, when you bring immature people to a place called Beaver Liquors, it’s to be expected. D’Andra starts drinking in the store.
No surprise, the house is fabulous. LeeAnne calls it architecturally stunning. It’s like log cabin meets Tudor, and over 11,000 square feet. There’s even a bowling alley. Kameron says, it’s like an adult slumber party. She was the queen of slumber parties as a child, until she got lice from sharing a pillow. The girls compare the elevator to the one in Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory. Cary picks out her favorite toilet for pooping later.
Brandi wants to hang the poster in Kameron’s room. Stephanie wants her to have a god time with them. Brandi thinks every time she plays a prank, the stick in Kameron’s ass comes out a little more. D’Andra says, it’s the calm before the storm, and Kameron wonders what’s going to happen next. In her interview, Stephanie thinks if they bother Kameron enough, she’ll realize they’re fun and it’s okay to be stupid. Kameron finds the poster taped to her bed, and says, this is not okay. It is pretty rude, but not horrible. She comes out saying, what is this? In her interview, she says they want to get a rise out of her to see what she’ll do.
Stephanie asks if she likes it. In her interview, Brandi says Kameron secretly loves her. It’s like flirting when Kameron gives her a hard time. Brandi says Kameron’s liquor store sold it; she’s just honoring them. In her interview, Brandi expected Kameron to be more annoyed. She sees a glimmer of hope. LeeAnne thinks it’s just their sense of humor. D’Andra tells Kameron to act unphased. We flash back to Brandi’s various pranks. D’Andra says there are plenty things to be mad about, but this isn’t one of them. LeeAnne offers to teach Kameron meditation.
Stephanie and Brandi play in the snow, and I’m jealous. Kameron tries to mediate, but keeps laughing. She has a hard time sitting still and taking it seriously. LeeAnne agrees it’s hard not to think about fashion while clearing your mind. Cary brings them (I think) daquiris, and joins in. LeeAnne tells them to focus on breathing. She taps the bowl, and tells them let go of their thoughts. Kameron starts laughing again.
Kameron tells us that house manager Sophia is like Mary Poppins, and found an amazing chef. They sit down to dinner. Stephanie would rather have a conversation with D’Andra one on one, without a lot of opinions. Everyone has something to say about everything. The salad is served, and LeeAnne says, they don’t make this at Costco. Kameron wants them to know she’s fun. She’s brought out a game where you pick a card, and answer the question on it. Everyone is drinking, and LeeAnne just has water, but she says she’s good with that. In her interview, she’s afraid if she drinks too much, she’ll be vulnerable to being offended by stupidity. She’s not interested in opening herself up like that at this point. They do tequila shots, and the chef serves short ribs.
Kameron can’t believe Stephanie has a baby. She says Stephanie didn’t even blink while telling her tall tale. She could have just said she had surprise, instead of making her look like an idiot. Believe me, it’s not her tall tale that did that. In her interview, Kameron says she felt left out. I’m not sure why, since Cary is the only one that knew. Stephanie apologizes. Brandi takes the blame. Cary wants another drink. Kameron says she’s happy for Brandi. She loves games, but it wasn’t the game she wanted to play. In her interview, Cary says arguing with Kameron is frustrating. Her brain goes on repeat. She tells Kameron not to be a badger. Kameron reads from a card, asking, what reveals most about a person’s sexual skills; they way they drink, dance, or kiss? Brandi asks Kameron to kiss her, saying she has the best lips. Kameron says that’s sweet, but no. Brandi says she’s only been with one person. Kameron could be number two.
Brandi comes to Kameron’s side of the table. She says she knows Kameron doesn’t like her. Kameron says they’d just met, and Brandi chased her on the beach with a giant chocolate dildo. We flash back to that. Brandi grabs Kameron, and kisses her. D’Andra asks if Brandi is making up with her, and Brandi says she’ll make out.
They go out to the hot tub. Cary gets nakey. Kameron asks where her bathing suit is. In her interview, Kameron says, first, Brandi wants to make out; then Brandi and Cary get naked. Is she that irresistible? LeeAnne says she’s going to bed early. Too many shots and naked tw*ts spell trouble. In her interview, Cary feels like something is off with LeeAnne. She hopes the meditation helps her behavior. She thinks you can be fun and respectful at the same time.
D’Andra thinks LeeAnne is being reserved, and that she’s had too much to drink. Kameron asks if D’Andra felt left out. Cary thinks it’s stupid. Brandi says if she doesn’t want to explain herself, she’s not attacking anyone. In her interview, Brandi says instead of celebrating, Kameron is making her feel like sh*t because she didn’t tell her. Kameron says she felt like she wasn’t really Brandi’s friend. Stephanie tells Kameron not to bash Brandi about adopting a baby. Kameron says she would never do that, and don’t put words in her mouth. Brandi leaves the room, and Cary follows her. Stephanie tells Kameron to quit making Brandi feel bad because didn’t know.
Brandi cries in the bedroom, and Cary comforts her. Kameron insists that’s not what she said. In her interview, Stephanie says Kameron shouldn’t bash Brandi about adopting a baby, but Kameron heard something different. She wants to live in her world where she’s a victim. In her interview, Kameron says Stephanie is staying in her home and accusing her of bashing Brandi for adopting a baby. Don’t put words in her mouth. Brandi wants to go home. Stephanie joins them. In her interview, Brandi thinks it’s a lot. She doesn’t owe Kameron anything, and didn’t think they were that close.
Kameron doesn’t understand why Stephanie is putting words in her mouth. Cary is right about her brain going on repeat. She was talking about Brandi’s behavior. Stephanie says it’s Kameron’s house, and as a classy woman, she should make Brandi feel comfortable and safe; not having to tell her that she’s sorry all night. Brandi says she has better things to do, like get out of there. Kameron doesn’t want Stephanie in her house right now.
Next time, Kameron wants Stephanie to leave, more fun in the snow, and D’Andra tells LeeAnne to get her act together with Rich.

At Sonny’s place, Milo tells Mike about Lucy losing her clothes at the Nurses’ Ball. Mike asks if Sonny was ever part of the Magic Milo act, but Sonny says he leaves the stripping to the professionals.
Stella asks Griff about a patient. The form is illegible, and there’s no barcode. Griff says he saw the patient in the ER, and things were rough. Stella tells him she was hired to provide social services, not to translate the Rosetta Stone; meet her halfway. He’s abrupt with her, and she tells him the fact that he has a medical degree doesn’t entitle him to impose on anyone.
At Charlie’s, Julian looks at article in the Port Charles Press naming David as Kiki’s harasser. He tells Ava that he can’t believe it. He needs to decide what to do. Ava asks, decide about what? and he says, how many pieces he’s going to be in when he’s found.
Franco startles Scotty at the park, and Scotty asks if he wants to get the life insurance to pay his wedding bills. He doesn’t understand why Franco set up a meeting with him, and Franco wonders why Scotty wanted it to be in the park. Scotty says he can’t be too careful. They have him double crossing his own client. Franco says that David should have thought twice before harassing Kiki. Now he’s going to get what he deserves. Scotty tells him not to be so sure about that. David just gave him a piece of evidence that will put Kiki in the crosshairs.
Kiki meets Alexis at The Floating Rib. She tells Alexis that she got her hours slashed, while David gets to keep living his life like nothing happened. Alexis tells her not if she has anything to say about it.
Kim and Oscar walk into Charlie’s. Oscar is wearing a dress shirt and tie, and Julian tells him he looks good, and Oscar thanks him in a snarky way. Kim explains that it’s the first day of Oscar’s internship. Julian says he’ll bring some breakfast, but Oscar says he can’t eat. He just saw something that made him nauseous. Julian says, one ginger ale coming up, and Kim tells Julian to surprise her. She asks if Oscar is ready, and he says he’s ready for her to stop wasting time with Julian.
On the phone in his office, Drew tells someone that the company is covered if David sues. Sam comes by, and asks if he has a minute.
Kim tells Oscar that she won’t tolerate him being rude to Julian or anyone else. He says she still has feelings for Drew, and she says she has feelings for Julian that are reciprocated. Oscar says Drew can’t help it if he doesn’t remember his feelings for her. Kim tells him it’s natural to want his parents to be together, but wanting something doesn’t mean it will happen. Oscar thinks she and Drew have been conferring, and asks what Drew said about him.
Sam tells Drew that they’re not sure if Peter left town voluntarily or was abducted. Drew knows that Jordan hired her and Curtis, and asks how she’s liking her new job. She says it’s going slow, but she likes it a lot. They’re looking into the motive of revenge. Drew doesn’t think he can help, but Sam says he worked closer with Peter than she did. She asks if he mentioned an enemy. Drew doesn’t think Peter ever talked about much that was personal, and for sure nothing negative. Sam says she’s worried about Drew. Peter told her that he was going to do a memory reversal procedure with Andre, and had offered him the flash drive in exchange for breaking him out. He’d said Drew turned him down, and was going to do the procedure without it. Drew says, that was the plan. She hopes he’s changed his mind, and he says he decided it wasn’t worth the risk. He couldn’t do it to the kids. Sam says he made the right choice. She thinks he’s great exactly as he is, and Scout and Oscar love having him as a father. Drew says he owed it to them not to live in limbo. He says today is the start of a new life. He got the papers, and it’s official. They’re divorced.
Kiki tells Alexis that she’s made notes on every close encounter with David. Alexis says it will be helpful in structuring the case, but no more publicity. If Lulu wants a follow-up, tell her to wait until the trial starts. Kiki says the waiting makes her anxious, but Alexis says it will give her more time for putting the case together. With Francesca’s cooperation, she’s feeling more confident, but it will still be an ordeal. She believes with their poised and careful testimony, the jury will throw the book at David. Alexis gets a call from Franco. He’s looking at the picture of Griff and Kiki hugging, and says Scotty showed him something that could have an effect on Kiki’s case, and not in a good way.
Milo tells Mike that Epiphany is his biggest fan, but he had to tell her dollar bills don’t cut it. He doesn’t come cheap. Mike asks if Sonny knows Milo, and Milo says they go way back. Sonny asks if Mike took his meds today, and Mike asks if Sonny is checking up on him. Milo says that’s what families are for, and Sonny says he’s been checking on Mike for a long time. Mike leaves to take his medication, and Sonny tells Milo that he’s sorry. Milo tells him not to apologize. Mike is doing better than his mother did. She also had Alzheimer’s.
Drew says, papers are filed, and boom, two people who were once in love are no longer married. Sam starts to cry, and apologizes. She says she thought they should share Scout equally. He asks why she’s giving up Aurora, and she says she thinks it’s best for the company to have a sole owner; it cuts out the uncertainties, since Peter turned out to be a fraud. He says he can handle the fallout from Peter. Why give up something that’s half hers? Sam says Drew made it for them to run together, but they’re not together anymore. She thinks it’s best for the company – and them – to have a clean split. He guesses that’s it then, but she says, not quite.
Oscar asks Kim again what Drew said about him, and she says, next to nothing, but they agreed the past is in the past. In the here and now, they’re his parents and love him. They want to help in making choices that are best for him, but that’s as far as it goes; they have separate lives. Oscar says he’s glad she cleared it up. He tells her that he doesn’t want to be late, and gets up. She says she’ll tell Julian they’re leaving, but he says, stay with Julian. He’d rather walk.
Julian tells Ava that Oscar’s not his biggest fan. Ava is glad he’s willing to spill blood for Kiki, but wants him to stay out of it. She’s going to see how the trial shakes out. He asks what if it doesn’t go her way? She says then she’ll put David in his place. If the justice system fails, she has a plan.
Alexis tells Kiki there’s good news and bad news. The good news is that they got a leg up on Scotty’s defense. The bad news is the defense is going to portray her as a slut who asked for it.
Milo tells Sonny that his mom passed away two years ago. Sonny wishes Milo had told him, but Milo didn’t want to be a burden. Sonny says she was young, and Milo says, it can go that way, especially with women. Although she wasn’t Max’s mom, he and his family helped, and Diane found a good care facility. He doesn’t know what would have done without Epiphany. She got him to a place where he could talk about it. Sonny asks if there’s anything he can do for Milo, and Milo says, learn from his mistakes. The disease is relentless. The end is predictable, but the day to day, not so much. He tells Sonny to be with his father, enjoy the moments, and don’t be too proud to ask for help. There’s nothing bad about it. We all get weepy, and Sonny hugs Milo.
Milo says that Max asked him to drop something off, since he’s at the dentist. He gives Sonny an envelope, and says Max told him it’s everything he could find on the thing Sonny asked him to look into. Sonny says, he can’t get more vague, and Milo thinks that was the point. Sonny asks him to tell Epiphany that he owes her for supporting Milo, and he owes Milo for telling him about his mom. Talking to someone who understands it, helps.
Kiki realizes that David took the photo, and Alexis says he keeps out creeping himself. It was taken at GH, and the hugging wasn’t sexual, but it’s close. Kiki asks when it was taken, and Alexis tells her on April 24th. Kiki says, that was before. When Alexis asks, before what? Kiki says the Nurses’ Ball. Griff was comforting her after David’s harassment. Alexis asks Kiki if there’s anything she should know. It’s not be good be blindsided during the trial.
Griff has another referral for Stella. She says it’s legible and he found a bar code. He promises to be more careful in the future, and tells her, for the record, he doesn’t think having a medical degree entitles him to impose on her or anyone. He says a lot of male staffers are worried about Kiki’s allegations, but their silence isn’t consent. They don’t like a colleague imposing unwanted advances on anyone. He wishes they’d opened their eyes before this happened.
Scotty tells Franco that he just shared privileged information with him, and Kiki is a big girl. Franco says, it doesn’t matter how old she is, and Scotty says it sounds like he’s familiar with the experience.
Kim introduces herself to Ava. Ava says it’s about time. She wondered what gave Julian the extra spring in his step. Julian says, look no further.
Sam tells Drew that she’s sorry the vows they said didn’t last, but she’s not sorry they made them. She’s grateful for their time together. He saved her life, and helped bring their daughter into the world, and she’s grateful they’ll always be bonding over her. Drew says he’s grateful for the love they shared. He’s sorry it has to end this way. Sam is too, but she had to stand on her own and start over for the kids and herself. She misses what they had, and thinks she always will. She says it’s a new start for the both of them. She gives him her rings, and hopes it’s a good one. Drew says a lot of things went wrong, but the rings represent real love. He asks her to hold on to them for Scout. They hug, and he tells her it’s going to be okay.
Scotty tells Franco it looks like he struck a chord. Franco says, you know what they say about a broken clock. (I had to look this up – it’s right twice a day.) He tells Scotty not to be like that, and Scotty says, like what? Concerned, interested, dare he say fatherly? He knows Franco thinks he’s a deadbeat because he came into Franco’s life later. He’s tried to help, but Franco has a cloud hanging over his head, and it’s noticeable. He says Franco has an inner circle, but he can’t get in there. Franco admits he hasn’t shared a rather sizable demon. Scotty asks if Franco doesn’t trust him, and Franco says, if he does, it might change things. Is Scotty ready for that? Scotty says he is. Franco tells him that he didn’t have anyone like him when he was little. Just Drew and Betsy, who wasn’t equipped to deal with what was happening, and he was just a little kid.
Oscar goes to Drew’s office. Drew says they have a busy day ahead. First, he’s going to meet the head of the press, and going to shadow him. Then they’ll poke into the newsroom, but there’s some clerical stuff to take care of first. It’s not exciting, but it’s important. Drew notices that something is wrong, and asks, what’s going on? Oscar wonders if he ran the itinerary by his mom, since they report to each other behind his back.
Kiki tells Alexis that she’s already given her all sexual history, and asks if she should make a PowerPoint presentation for the jury. Alexis says she’s looking for a bad relationship that could be used to support her as the aggressor. Kiki says she never came on to or slept with someone as part of an agenda. Alexis says the last thing they need is a surprise, and Kiki says, there won’t be one.
Mike comes back downstairs. Sonny asks if he took his meds, and he says, yes, nurse. He asks what happened to Milo, and Sonny says he had to leave. Mike says Milo is a great kid, and Sonny says Milo and his mom have been taking care of his family for a long time. Mike says, unlike Sonny’s father, who didn’t take care of him. Sonny says sometimes he did. He followed him to Croton. Mike tells him to forget about it, but Sonny says, it’s important. Where did Mike take the body?
Scotty tells Franco the dark cloud is starting to make sense. He wishes his own father was there. He would know what to say, since Scotty isn’t equipped to handle it. He’s sorry Franco was hurt, and wishes he could have stopped it or helped him. He says he’s sorry, and Franco says he appreciates it, and thanks him. Scotty says if he gets something on David, he’ll let him know. They hug.
Kiki tells Griff she needs to talk to him away from the hospital.
Ava tells Kim that they should have dinner. Maybe Griff could come; she’s been wanting to get the boys together to have a good time. Kim says the last double-date she was on was in high school. She got food poisoning, and she’d like another shot at it. They decide to come up with a date that fits all of their schedules.
Drew tells Oscar that he doesn’t report to Oscar’s mom. Oscar says, if you say so. Drew says it’s important that Oscar respect him, and he didn’t betray any confidence. Oscar asks why he told her that Oscar wanted them back together. Drew says after the awards ceremony at Kelly’s, Kim wondered why Oscar had suddenly soured on Julian, and realized it was because he wanted them together. Drew didn’t confirm or deny. Oscar says he’s not a lawyer; he’s Drew’s son. Drew says it’s not exactly a secret that he doesn’t want Julian with his mom, and it was easy to presume. He told Kim that it was a natural thing to want. They have their own lives, but they both love him. They have that in common, but that’s as far as it goes.
Sam sees Alexis, and says she’s checking in. Alexis asks, as a daughter or a client? and Sam says, both. She just found out the divorce papers were executed. Alexis tells her that she knew they went out today, and if she checks her voicemail, there’s a message about it. Alexis wanted Sam to hear it from her first. She asks if Sam is okay; she wants the truth.
Mike talks about doing some small-time jobs for Charlie’s family, and Sonny asks if he went to the city after Croton. Mike says it was decades ago, and Sonny says there’s no statute of limitations for murder. Mike says he saw Sonny bury it, and he moved it; why isn’t that enough? Sonny says Mike told him that he moved it closer to home. Did he move it to Port Charles?
👿 Here’s where ABC breaks in to tell me that Scott Pruitt resigned. Because it can’t wait ten minutes. This time, I tried to go legit, using the ABC website to fill it in – they did come back for the tail end – but I had to watch fifty commercials just to get five minutes worth of show. I think next time I’ll continue to go rogue and use the pirated version. Sorry Clorox, BMW, and Secret antiperspirant.
Drew tells Oscar that he was just trying to get on the same page as his mom. Oscar says he’s sorry for snapping. Drew says it’s no one’s fault. His mom did a fantastic job of raising him. Drew promises he won’t tell her anything said in confidence.
Sam tells Alexis that the day Drew left her, he got in a fight with Jason. The PCPD called her, and she went down to the station to pay his bail. When he came out, he just walked past her, and she felt like no one, nothing. She guesses it was rock bottom, so when Alexis asks how she feels, she’s devastated that her marriage is over, but thinks she made right choice. They can both move on with their lives. Alexis asks if she can do anything to make it easier, and Sam says she’s the best mom and lawyer a girl could ask for. Alexis says she’d better be if she’s going to win Kiki’s case. It’s a little tricky, but she had a breakthrough this morning. Sam asks why she’s worried then, and Alexis tells Sam that she’s assuming her client is keeping something from her.
Franco tells Ava that Scotty agreed to reach out to Alexis and share tactics, so they know how David is spinning things. Ava says their strategy appears to be working’ they might not have to use drastic measures. Franco tells her about David having a photo he took of Kiki and Griff. Ava wonders, what photo?
Griff meets Kiki in the park, and asks, what’s going on? She tells him that David took a photo of them hugging. She doesn’t want him to be blindsided on the stand, and says they’ll also have to be prepared for her mom to ask questions. She says Alexis bought her explanation, and he asks if Alexis knows what happened. Kiki says she didn’t tell her; it has nothing to do with the case. Griff thinks it might help her fight the case. Kiki tells him there’s an old saying that three can keep a secret if two are dead. She adds that if her mom finds out about them, they might as well be dead. Scotty is listening in from behind a tree. I realize that lawyers could spin something like this, but I fail to see how it would be unusual for Kiki to hug Griff. He’s her mother’s boyfriend, and technically, as well as weirdly, could become her stepfather if he and Ava ended up getting married.
Kim asks Julian what all the boxes are for. He says he’s been cleaning out the back room. He wants to see if it can be expanded to give him more private space.
Sonny tells Mike the foundation of the pub was laid the same year he turned eighteen. The same year he buried the body and Mike moved it. He asks if Charlie helped Mike, and Mike says Sonny had a problem and they took care of it. Sonny says, it’s in the pub, isn’t it?
Kim tells Julian that he’ll never know what he might find under the façade. Old buildings are loaded with quirks. He says, whatever is buried in these walls, he can handle it.
Mike tells Sonny that the Feds would have to bust up the foundation to find the body.
I am loving this dead body storyline.
Tomorrow, Maxie says maybe she and Lulu can help each other like they used to, Ava tells Nelle that she’ll defend herself by any means necessary, and Peter asks if anyone was told he’s there. I assume the Scout came back for his bugle.
🐒🐐🐪 If you love animals, I highly recommend My Wild Life on TLC. Bobbie Jo and Jerry Abrams have a blended family all under one roof… three children, nanny, Naa Naa and 81 fur babies. The animal siblings include, a zebra, camel, kangaroos, llamas, wallabies and a recently adopted sloth. While there’s been some concern from animal rights groups about such a variety of animals living together, it looks like it works for them. Their website also states: We are a USDA licensed facility and highly trained to care for each of our unique animals. All of them are up to date on their shots and received lots of daily attention from our staff. Just don’t try this at home. I think the first season might be over, as I saw a couple of reruns late night, and don’t see it listed in the guide right now, but you can watch episodes for free here:

🎡 The Fourth…
Tonight’s Southern Charm was a rerun from last week. I was actually kind of glad. I didn’t mind watching Ashley make a fool of herself at the polo match again, and while I can’t wait to watch her make a supreme fool out of herself at Patricia’s Winter Wonderland Ball, I’m happy to call it an early night. There’s been a heat wave, it’s not burning in my heart, and I spent way too much time on the boardwalk yesterday at the annual Oceanfest. It’s really a glorified flea market, with the addition of sand sculptures and fireworks, but it’s a tradition in our household. We never stick around for the fireworks, because, our dogs. It wasn’t too horrible this year. We blasted music and talked very loudly with each other, and now the dogs are afraid of us instead. JUST KIDDING. But it worked. Along with the grilled hamburger we occasionally slipped them.

General Hospital
Michael says he told his mom that he’d look out for his family and protect them. Sonny says his mom is his family, and she’s in Ferncliff, thanks to Nelle setting her up. Sonny wants to tell her about the impending marriage before someone else does. Michael says there’s something else she needs to know.
Julian and Kim go to The Floating Rib, and see Brad and Lucas there. Sam asks Lucas why he’s so serious, and he says he needs Sam’s help.
Terry and Elizabeth go down Memory Lane. Cameron, who’s aged quite a lot in a very short time, comes downstairs, and Elizabeth introduces him to Terry. He leaves for the fireworks, and Elizabeth tells Terry that he’s a pretty responsible kid. Terry says, so he’s nothing like they were. Franco comes home, and Elizabeth introduces her childhood friend. Franco says Elizabeth told him that Terry was her first kiss. Terry says she’s proud of it, but she went by he at the time.
Oscar unpacks a picnic at the park. Josslyn asks if there’s room for one more. He says he wasn’t sure she would show, and she apologizes for ripping his head off the last time they were together.
Rupert tells Carly that she has a visitor. Nelle says, hi, grandma, explaining to Rupert that Carly is her baby’s grandma, not hers. Rupert asks if Carly wants him to escort Nelle out. She says, no, but wait outside; she won’t be long. Nelle says the place is worse than she imagined. Carly tells her maybe one day she’ll find out for herself. Nelle says, someone is in a bad mood, but she has news to make Carly’s day. She’s been thinking long and hard about the damage that’s been done, and has one way to make better. Nelle says she forgives Carly.
Michael tells Jason and Sonny that his mom warned him about Nelle, and he has to pay for his mistakes. paying for his mistakes. Sonny doesn’t see it that way, and wants to protect Michael. Michael says Sonny has; now it’s his turn. He’s going into the marriage with his eyes wide open. Sonny says, it’s a losing battle. Michael says to tell Carly it’s going to be okay. Even if he’s lying, say he believes in Michael.
Terry doesn’t want to intrude, but Elizabeth and Franco ask her to stay. Terry asks if Franco is weirded out, but he says he’s relieved. He had been a little jealous. Terry appreciates the candor, and Franco says Elizabeth could have clued him in to… Terry explains it’s called gender transition, and that Elizabeth didn’t know. They drink to surprises.
Lucas and Brad talk about including everyone in family gatherings, and ask Sam if she’ll be there. She says Danny loves being a big brother, and will take on a new cousin like a champ. Brad says this is really happening.
Kim asks if Julian wants to talk about it. He wonders what there is to talk about. She says his son and daughter are there, and not even looking in his direction. He’s glad they’re spending time together. He’d like to be a part of it, but thinks it’s too late to be a father to them. Kim disagrees, at least with Lucas. Maybe he can’t be a full-fledged father, but he can have a relationship. She saw them at the hospital, and it’s not lost on Lucas how hard he’s tried. She thinks he has a chance.
Josslyn says Oscar seems bummed. He tells her that he hates his mom being with Julian. He knows things are hard for Josslyn with her family right now, but Josslyn says they can’t do anything about their moms tonight, so they should enjoy what they can control. They have an awesome spot for the fireworks. They kiss, and Cameron appears, asking if he’s interrupting.
Carly can’t believe Nelle came all that way just to say she forgives her. Nelle says it’s an important part of healing. Carly says making peace means so much to her. Being in there isn’t ideal, but she sees how much she needed it, and is going to do whatever work it takes to get back to her family. Nelle says, ever growing family, and Carly asks how she’s feeling. Nelle says, wonderful. Michael is waiting on her hand and foot. The pregnancy went by quickly, and there’s been a lot going on. Carly says Nelle has been busy, but Nelle says, never too busy for her.
Sonny tells Michael that he does believe in him, and to take care of himself. Jason tells Michael these are not normal circumstance. Nelle will do anything to get what she wants. Michael says, she wants him. Sonny says they don’t know what she’ll do now. He and Jason explain about the flyer, and how Nelle was trying to make Carly believe his brother was still alive. There’s no line Nelle won’t cross. Michael says he’s smart enough to call for help if he needs it. Sonny has to go, and tells Michael to be careful. After he leaves, Jason asks Michael why the hell he’s marrying Nelle.
Brad thinks it’s the perfect time, and Sam asks, for what? Lucas says they would be grateful if she’d be their baby’s godmother. She’s an amazing mom, and they know if it came to it, she’d go to the ends of the earth for their kid. She’s in, and they make a toast to the godmother. Julian approaches the table, and hopes the baby arrives safely, healthy, and happy. They thank him, and he says he wants it for both their families. Lucas says they’ll let him know when the baby arrives. He goes back to his table, and Sam says her first order of business as godmother is to advise they don’t let Julian in the baby’s life.
Terry says she wasn’t brave; she was scared to death. Elizabeth says that’s why she’s so brave. Franco asks if there was a turning point, and Terry says the older she got, the more trapped she felt, until she couldn’t stand it. Elizabeth can’t believe Terry didn’t tell her. Terry says back then, she just felt like something was off, but she was comfortable and could be herself with Elizabeth. Elizabeth wishes she’d been there to offer support, and Terry says she didn’t know. Elizabeth asks about her parents. Terry tells her, at first, they didn’t know what was happening. Terry acted out with negative behaviors, and they just wanted her to get better, but when it meant that they had to acknowledge she was a girl, no one wanted it. Least of all her brother.
Josslyn explains to Oscar that she and Cameron grew up together. Cameran tells him how they got married in elementary school, and Josslyn ate the licorice ring. Cameron asks how Oscar likes Port Charles, and Oscar says Josslyn has been showing him the ropes. Cameron tells them he’s life-guarding this summer. Josslyn says Oscar has an internship with his dad, and she’ll be reporting for duty as a camp counselor. Cameron says they can hang out.
Nelle gets Carly some water. She says she’s been spending time with Josslyn; they have special bond. Josslyn is excited about becoming aunt. Carly says Josslyn is growing up, and Nelle says, in more ways than one. Carly asks what that means. Nelle says Josslyn confided in her about her relationship with Oscar. It sounds like things are heating up. She hopes Carly doesn’t mind, but she took Josslyn to buy some lingerie; nothing trashy, but age appropriate. Whatever that means at age fourteen. Carly says she trusts Nelle implicitly, and Nelle says then she won’t mind that she asked Josslyn to be her maid of honor. Michael proposed. She asks if she can call Carly mom. Carly says she’s speechless. Nelle says she couldn’t believe it either. The alone time brought them closer with no interference. Carly asks when, and Nelle says, as soon as possible. They’re going to be a true family from the start. Carly thinks it’s amazing. Getting married for the sake of baby is great, although those marriages don’t always last. She married AJ for Michael’s sake. Nelle asks if Carly doesn’t think Michael will love her, and Carly says he put a ring on it, but just because a couple can make a baby doesn’t mean they should be married. Nelle says, not her and Michael, and Carly tells Nelle that she’s right. Rupert tells Carly she has another visitor. Sonny asks what the hell Nelle doing there.
Michael tells Jason to let Nelle think her plan worked, and that he’s in love with her. Over-confident people make mistakes. Jason says she killed her last fiancé; he’s risking his life. Michael says he gets it. Nelle is dangerous and evil and all those things. He’s not pretending she isn’t, but she’s carrying his child. She put his mother, and Jason’s best friend, in an institution. There’s no limit to what she’ll do, but she’s not playing him again. It’s his turn, and he guarantees he’ll win.
Sam tells Lucas he has an I-feel-bad-for-dad face. Lucas says Julian did what he wanted, and respected the boundaries. Sam needs to stand down. Sam says, not when it comes to Julian. She strongly suggests he do the same.
Kim tells Julian that wasn’t so bad, but he says he can feel the arctic chill. He doesn’t expect things to change. He’s concerned about Lucas not knowing anything about the birth mother though. She can snatch the baby back at any minute, and he doesn’t want Lucas robbed of the chance to be a father.
Terry tells Elizabeth that her brother hasn’t spoken to her since her transition. Elizabeth says she must have felt betrayed. Terry says he thinks she just decided she was over being a boy, and would rather be a girl, but she was finally reconciling her physical and emotional sides. Franco says she was freed to be seen for who she really is. He gets it. He knows the pain of rejection. They agree it stinks.
Carly tells Sonny that Nelle came to tell her that she and Michael are getting married. Sonny thought she was getting her ring sized. Nelle says the jeweler is close by. Sonny says he can’t stop the marriage, but he’s not letting her get in his wife’s face. Nelle says she’s glad to brighten Carly’s day. Carly tells her to give Michael a hug, and when she’s gone, tells Sonny, this is not happening.
Michael tells Jason the mistakes his parents have made were because they let emotions get in the way. The baby is 100% innocent, and he’s going to protect it at all costs. He needs to make Nelle feel comfortable, secure, and loved as long as it takes to exonerate his mom. Right now, he needs to focus on the baby. Jason says he couldn’t do it, and respects him for that. He tells Michael that every time he lies, it will cost him. Michael says he knows it, and Jason tells him not to give up his soul for her. Make sure he can live with his choices. Michael says he can live with anything, as long as his mom and the baby are safe.
Kim realizes that’s why Julian wanted to know about the records. He says he wants to know the deal with the birth mother – and father. Does the father even know? He doesn’t want anyone hurt in this scenario, especially his son. Kim tells him that he’s not a party. As much as it stinks, it’s out of his control. She asks, given his experience, if it’s hard to be with her because of what she did to Drew.
Lucas tells Sam that he loves and is grateful to her. They drink to the baby.
Jason goes to the footbridge.
Elizabeth wishes she’d been there, and Terry asks if she thinks she could have talked sense into her brother Sean. Elizabeth says she could have been a friend and listened. Terry says she’s doing that now, but Elisabeth wonders why Terry didn’t confide in her sooner. Terry says for one thing, she was gone, and Elizabeth was her Biz. She couldn’t stand the thought of rejection. Elizabeth realizes Terry thought she wouldn’t accept her.
Cameron has camp training early, and leaves. Oscar says he seems like an okay guy, but he’s not going to lie. He likes it being just the two of them. Josslyn says, her too.
Carly tells Sonny that Nelle is dangerous. He says Michael knows, but she says Nelle is psychotic dangerous. She’s a sociopath who killed her last fiancé. Does Sonny want Michael to go next? Carly tells him that he has to do whatever it takes to stop it.
Julian says he doesn’t judge Kim’s choices about Oscar. The situation is different. She wasn’t trying to keep Drew from his son. She says she could have worked harder. He says she did the best she could. She did what was necessary, and he respects her decisions. She says, then instead of jumping to the worst case scenario with the biological parents, he should think that they’re doing what’s in the best interest of their child; giving them to a good home. Julian says he wasn’t able to protect Lucas growing up, and doesn’t want him to get hurt. Kim says, getting hurt is part of the job. He thanks her for listening. He appreciates her solid advice – and her.
Terry tells Elizabeth that she’s knocked on a few doors, and not many have been as warm and welcoming. Elizabeth says Terry is her friend. She loves her, and nothing will change that. She asks if Terry would like to stay with them, but she has a consult in morning. Elizabeth is excited that she’ll be working at GH, and says she has to come to the wedding. Terry is her oldest friend. Terry agrees, as long as Elizabeth stops calling her old. She’s happy Elizabeth found Franco. She tells Franco that Elizabeth has a huge, compassionate heart that was meant to be shared with someone like him. He says he’s a lucky guy, and grateful. Terry leaves, and Franco hugs Elizabeth.
Sonny says Michael is doing this because he feels guilty. He’s been beating himself up for getting involved with Nelle, and her ending up in Ferncliff. Carly says they’ve already lost Morgan; they can’t lose Michael. Sonny tells her that Michael is a grown man. He trusts Michael, and she needs to trust him. She says it’s Nelle who she doesn’t trust. She might kill him out of spite. He says Michael’s got it, and she asks if he’s got Michael. He says, always. Sonny has some good news about the flyer on her car. He says, invisible ink, and laughs. Carly calls Nelle a bitch, and asks if he can prove it. He says not that Nelle is behind it, but they’re trying. Until then, everything has to stay as it is. Carly says, so she stays in there, and Michael marries Nelle.
Michael asks how the sizing went, and Nelle says, actually, she went to visit his mom instead. She wanted to tell her about the engagement personally. She thought if she could explain how much she loves him and the baby, it would make it easier, but no such luck. Michael doesn’t think it’s a good time to reach out. Carly is still in recovery, and needs space. Nelle apologizes, saying she was so happy, she wanted to share it, and give Carly a piece of joy to hold on to. She asks Michael what if Carly never accepts her, and he says, then so be it. He loves her, and him, her, and the baby are all that matters; they’re a family. He doesn’t think his mom will shut her out forever. Things change, and eventually she’ll give in; she has to. Nelle hopes he’s right as long as motivated by good intentions everything will be fine
Sam brings Danny to the footbridge. Jason asks if Danny is there to watch the fireworks. Danny tells him that his mom says it’s the best view ever. Sam says she was telling him about how Jason built the bridge. Jason says he wasn’t out there with a hammer, but he paid for it. The old one had been special to a friend of his, and over time, to him too. Danny asks if Jason will watch fireworks with them, and Jason says he’d like that. Sam smiles.
Elizabeth and Franco sit on the couch, talking about the visit from Terry. Cameron comes in home early. He tells them that he saw Josslyn, and she’ll be being working at camp. It should be cool. He stomps upstairs, and Franco says, teenagers. The fireworks start, and they stand outside. Franco says it must have been hard for Terry, not being herself. He forgives Elizabeth for making out with Terry. They kiss.
Everyone goes outside at The Floating Rib. Oscar and Josslyn watch from their blanket. Oscar tells Josslyn that he tried the cologne and really likes it.
Nelle tells Michael, next year, they will be a family. He says, perfect.
Sonny has to go. He tells Carly, the next time, the celebration will be hers; he promises. They kiss.
On the footbridge, Danny sits on Jason’s shoulders. Jason and Sam smile at each other.
Tomorrow the show from January 17, 2018 will be aired. Why that one? Who knows? On Thursday, Stella tells Griff not to impose, Oscar tells Kim to stop wasting time with Julian, and Drew tells Sam they’re divorced.
The Haves and the Have Nots
RJ asks David, what the hell, and David says get out of his face. Veronica can’t believe David really hit her. He says after all he’s done for her, and all the sacrifices he made for her. The new house was supposed to be hers after she burned the other one down. She starts freaking out, and hopping up and down. David says she’s made his life hell. RJ tells David to go, but David tells him to mind his own business. Veronica says she has this. She’s going to show him how bad it can get. David tells her to give it her best shot. She says when they got married, she had two rules. One, that he not cheat on her, and two, that he never lay a hand on her; now he’s done both, and he’s with that heifer. He says he never cheated on her, but he had to see her with Benny in the paper. He gave up on her ass. She says he doesn’t know what cheating is, and he calls her insane, telling her not to go near his son or Erica. Stay out of his life. She says, you’ll regret it, and repeats it in a singsong way.
RJ asks if she’s all right. She screams at him to get out, and keeps singsonging, you’ll regret it. After RJ leaves, she repeats, he hit me, over and over. She gets her phone and sits on the couch. She calls Derek, who tells her it’s the middle of the night, but she doesn’t give a damn; she needs some help. She needs some numbers for a partner in crime. He says he’s not doing this, and she says, don’t tell her what he’s not going to do. She wants the numbers at her house by the morning. He says he’s not in that life anymore, but again, she doesn’t give a damn.
Jeffrey sits in the middle of the trashed condo. David comes in, and asks if he’s okay. Jeffrey keeps saying he’s sorry, and David tells him to stop that; his mother is a mess. Jeffrey says she didn’t do this, and David asks who did. Jeffrey tells him, Officer Justin, and David asks if it was before or after they had sex; Veronica told him. Jeffrey says, after, and he knows David is going to tell him to end it. David didn’t know there was something to end, and Jeffrey says, he doesn’t know there is. He likes Justin, and he needs help. David says, so does Jeffrey’s mother, but she won’t change. He says, this kind of behavior leads to bodily harm, and asks if Justin has been abusive. Jeffrey says he has, both physically and verbally. David wonders if Jeffrey didn’t study this in psyche class.
Justin comes out, and says he’s sorry. David says he didn’t know Justin was there, and Jeffrey says, that makes two of them. Justin says he’ll pay for it, but David asks if he can afford a $16,000 couch. Justin says, no, but he’ll try. David says Jeffrey is an adult. If he chooses to be involved with someone like Justin, there’s not much he can do, but Justin needs to get help. Justin says he knows, and David says he’ll be watching. Jeffrey’s mother is nothing compared to what he’ll do to protect the well-being of his son. He asks Jeffrey if he’s sure this is what he wants, but Jeffrey doesn’t know. David tells him when he figures it out, let him know. He has to leave before he gets sick. He tells Justin the misusing of his son makes him want to throw Justin off the balcony, and tells Jeffrey that he’ll have new furniture sent over. He leaves and Jeffrey tells Justin that he’s serious, and asks why he came back. Justin says to beg forgiveness. Jeffrey tells him that he says that a lot, but he’s forgiven. Justin says there’s a program at the department where he can talk to a psychologist, and Jeffrey says he needs to. Justin asks if it works and he gets better, will Jeffrey move in with him? Jeffrey tells him to just focus on getting better. Justin says he will, and Jeffrey says, get out. Justin says he loves Jeffrey, and wants him to say the same. Jeffrey says, I love you; bye. Justin leaves.
DA George is told they have footage from across the street from the bar. An officer asks what’s the hold-up with the Cryer case, and George says the family is strong. They’re connected, and he needs every bit of ammo he can get. The officer asks, what about the son, and George says, he’s a drug addict; not a good character witness. They look at the footage that’s focused on the bar. George wonders what Wyatt is doing there, and then sees Jim, and wonders what the hell he’s doing there. The officer says the witness didn’t see them, but recognized this guy, pointing to Benny coming out the door. The witness said he was the assailant. George says, it’s Benjamin Young. He was hit with a car by Wyatt, and the family covered it up; what’s going on? The officer says the witness claims he’s the guy, and George tells them to bring Benny in.
Sarah asks for evidence to check against a case. The deputy, who obviously thinks she’s hot, lets her into the evidence room. He tells her a shift change is coming, and to hurry, because he doesn’t want anyone to know he let her in. She takes out a box, and puts something in her purse, presumably the bullets. She thanks him, and leaves.
Hanna calls Kathryn. Neither one of them slept well. Kathryn tells Hanna that she called the attorney. Hanna thanks her, saying she thinks the police will be breaking down her door any minute. Kathryn tells her to calm down, and not to worry about the cost. After the call ends, Hanna takes out her laptop, saying she has $32.00 in her account. Not anymore. It’s $8 million now. What bank is that? The interest rate is phenomenal. She calls Kathryn back, and gets voicemail. She leaves a message saying she can’t accept it, and to call her back.
Jeffrey visits Wyatt, who’s still in a straitjacket. Wyatt says he’s been in restraints all night. Jeffrey tells him that he looks better, and will get what he needs. Wyatt wonders if it isn’t illegal to keep him there, but Jeffrey says he said he was going to kill himself. Wyatt says he was kidding, and Jeffrey says they don’t know that. He tells Wyatt that his mother will be coming, and he’ll be fine. Wyatt says they’re going to kill him, and tells Jeffrey to go. He leaves, and Wyatt lies down.
On the phone, Sarah tells Jim, it’s done. He asks where it is, and she says she’s getting rid of it. He asks how he’ll know, and she says, when the case is dropped. He wants proof, but she says she’s not sending him proof. He tells her that he wants it brought personally. Do it, and they’re through. She asks how she knows he’s telling the truth, and Jim says she’ll have to trust him. Sarah says that will never happen. He knows how dangerous this is. He says, bring it. He’ll text the address, and make sure she’s not followed. She says, no sh*t.
There’s a knock at Veronica’s door, and she says, there’s a doorbell, boy. Derek comes in, and she asks if he got her numbers. He puts a paper on the end table, and starts to leave, but she tells him, not so fast. When she calls, she needs for him to come. She doesn’t care what he’s doing. Unless he wants her to call his parole officer. He says, some things are worth going back to jail for. Why not leave him alone? He’s living a clean, honest life. She doesn’t give a damn. He owes her, and she always collects. He asks how much is enough? and she says when she decides it is. He wonders if she knows what he was in for, and she asks if he’s threatening her. He says call him again, and yes. She laughs at him, and says she can’t wait to need something else. She says, they better be good numbers. When he leaves, she can’t believe a damn convict is threatening her.
Benny is surprised to find Hanna at home, and she says she’s not going to work with this thing hanging over their heads. Benny says it will be fine, and she says, she knows; she got a lawyer. She doesn’t want to use Veronica, and they can afford it. She checked the account, but her boss put too much in. Benny wonders why Kathryn is being so nice, and asks, how much? She says she’s going to use it to pay for the lawyer, and give the rest back. Kathryn calls back, and Hanna asks if she’s lost her mind. She put over $8 million in Hanna’s account, and she can’t accept it. Kathryn says she didn’t put it in there, and Hanna asks, who did? Kathryn has an idea, but can’t talk right now. She’ll call Hanna back. Hanna tells Benny it’s a mistake, and starts to call the bank. He says, it’s not a mistake.
Candace’s phone rings. It’s Benny, who asks how much money she put into the account. When Hanna hears the money came from Candace, she freaks. Benny insists he told Candace it was a joint account, and she says they have to move the money. He asks where it came from, and she tells him, it’s legit. She’ll explain when she gets there, and don’t let Hanna touch it. Benny tells Hanna that they should hear what Candace has to say, but Hanna says they’re not keeping it. He says they don’t know where it came from, and Candace says, it came from the devil.
Charles practices a speech, and Landon tells him it’s perfect. He’s going to knock the ladies dead again. He leaves to check on their departure times. Another member of Charles’s staff is there (another guy who has no name), and tells Charles to be careful of Landon. He doesn’t see it, the way Landon caters to him. Charles says Landon is a good guy. Dude says, he’s gay. Charles says, no, but dude says, yes. Now Charles feels stupid, having talked to Landon about women. Dude says Landon is smitten with him, but Charles can’t believe it. He says Landon is a professional and won’t cross lines, and he’s not so sure Landon is gay. Even if he is, so what? Dude says, just be careful. Charles says, they’re adults. Landon can’t do anything to him. Dude says that’s not what he means. Some of the staff are whispering about them. Charles says, ridiculous. Dude says Landon is territorial. All the nights in Charles’s room, the staff is wondering if there’s more to the relationship. Charles says he’s done with the conversation. He doesn’t want to hear it again. Landon comes back, and tells him the car is ready.
Erica looks at an ovulation test. She calls Rocky, and he tells her about Candace beating him with the golf club. He tells her be careful, but she says she still has to work a john. He asks how it’s going, and she says, better. Today, she’s ovulating. He tells her to be careful, but she says, this one is worth it. She needs him to apologize to Candace, and he says, hell no. She says he’s on the inside, and she needs it to happen; just apologize. She needs to know what Candace is up to, and he’s the only one who knows her. She’ll pay him when payday comes. He asks how much, and she says they only deal in millions. He tells her to let him get out, and he’ll think about it.
David goes to Kathryn’s house. He needs Jim to talk him down. Veronica made him come out of himself; he had to pimp slap her. Jim laughs, and David says it’s not funny; he feels terrible. Jim says, about a bitch who tried to burn him alive in his own house? David knows it sounds crazy. Jim asks how hard it is when you pimp slap someone, and David says she flew across the room. Jim can barely keep it together, and says he gave that bitch some wings. David says it was a lot of rage, especially for him. Jim thinks David should have let him take her out when he had the opportunity. David asks where Kathryn is, but Jim doesn’t know and doesn’t care. David says Veronica is going to retaliate, and it will be brutal. He thinks she’ll go after Erica first. Jim asks if she’s the girl living with him, and says David is smitten. David admits he is, and Jim asks what he knows about her. David says he’s not marrying her. He had Oscar check her out, and Jim snarks that’s a real confidence builder. Oscar had better get his money back. Candace put it in Benny’s name. David calls her a clever fox, but Jim says he’s a clever fox watcher, and he’s not playing in the trash anymore. Sarah comes up the walk, and Jim says, here comes his get-out-of-jail-free card. David should leave – plausible deniability.
Sarah gives Jim the evidence envelope, and says, we’re done. Jim says, not quite, but she means it. He repeats, not quite. He wants to show her something upstairs. She says it’s his wife’s house, and she’s not doing that. She’s done, and she means it. She walks out, and Jim smiles.
Candace goes to Hanna’s house. Benny asks where she got the money, and she says she blackmailed someone powerful. Hanna says, first Jim, now the man running for President. Candace says she’s talking to Benny, and she’s not telling who. He needs to open an account, and move the money. She’ll give him a million dollars. It’s for the tow yard and house; she wants to make it right. Hanna asks how can she make right what she’s got wrong? Candace says she was talking to Benny, but Hanna says, it’s her house. Candace asks, is it? Candace tells Benny that she’ll leave the money in the account for him, and that thing. Benny tells her to watch her mouth. She asks if he doesn’t want a fresh start. Benny says someone is going to be after her; they always are. Hanna tells her that everything she does, comes back around; it already has. Candace says she’s heard that before. Hanna is like a broken record or an R&B song – or is it an old Negro spiritual? Hanna says this is the kind of mess that her baby got killed over; is she crazy? Candace says she needs the money. Hanna calls it death money, and shows her a picture of Quincy Jr. She asks if Benny is going to be a criminal too, and why can’t Candace look at the picture? She tells Candace, it takes two signatures, and Benny says, she’s right. Candace wants to know why Hanna is like this; so self-righteous. She tells Benny that she needs this, but he says he can’t do it without Hanna. Candace tells Hanna that the money is hers. Hanna says it’s blackmail money, not her money. She won’t give it to Candace, but she will give it back. Candace asks, to who? Hanna says, the FBI. They must be looking for it.
The doorbell rings. It’s the police with a warrant for Benny, and they arrest him.
Next time, Candace wants her money and says, don’t make her show how evil she can be; Justin visits Wyatt, and suggests he hang himself; and Candace calls RJ for some muscle against her mother. Who will get revenge first?

There was no Fear the Walking Dead tonight, and how will they ever top last week anyway? I was able to watch 90 Day Fiancé: Happily, Ever After? fresh (dissection of it coming soon), and Westworld on the first rerun encore performance. I also checked out The Real Housewives of Potomac, but I’m just not feeling these girls. I’m not sure I ever did. I think if you look up the definition of boushetto in the urban dictionary, their pictures are there. Although Karen did give up a good quote – You don’t know me to be a liar, but we do know you to be a fool.
And of course there’s the elephant in the room, Talking with Chris Hardwick, that was supposed to premiere tonight, but didn’t. That whole thing has bummed me out. I find it sad that, as beautiful a thing as the internet can be, it seems to create an easy judge and jury for just about everything. Maybe it’s just me, but I like getting all the facts first. The only fact I have so far is that he was possibly a d-bag and took advantage in a previous relationship. If people start losing their jobs over that, there will be precious few people working. Especially in the entertainment business where egos are humongous. In other words, I fail to see how this situation is anything close to that of a Harvey Weinstein or Bill Cosby, or even a Louis C.K. Yet this guy has already been hung out to dry. And the internet makes it way too easy. The Wicked Witch of the West said it best – what a world… what a world.

🚀 Recommendations from the Wayback Machine…
Last week, I stepped back to the 70s with The Warriors, a surprisingly well-crafted film for its time, 1979. The scene symmetry and use of place are sophisticated, and the costumes alone make it worth watching, although the dialogue is often unintentionally funny. While completely unbelievable, the plot is simple. All the gangs in NYC are called to a meeting. One of the leaders suggests all the gangs band together, making them a force to be reckoned with. He’s shot and killed at the big rally, and the wrong gang, the Warriors, are blamed. They have to make it from Coney Island to the Bronx, various gangs coming after them along the way. One of my favorites were the Furies, who wore baseball uniforms and Kiss/Rocky Horror-ish make-up. It was also fun seeing Deborah Van Valkanburgh (Too Close for Comfort) acting like she was in a high school production of Grease. I’m endlessly glad they did not remake this film.
Sadly, The Hills Have Eyes – the 1977 gem I followed The Warriors with – did get remade. It was horrifying all right, but not in a good way. And as far as I’m concerned, it’s just not the same without Michael Berryman. Forget Hills Have Eyes II, which is basically clips from the first film, strung together in a barely cohesive way. Stick with the original. Another straightforward plot. A family from Cleveland (which has never ceased to amuse me, since I’m originally from the area) get lost in the desert, and become the unfortunate victims of a feral family living in a cave. A true B-picture, a lot of it is over-the-top fake, but there are a few chills, a few laughs, and like I said, Michael Berryman.
A heartfelt, albeit late, Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers out there. No matter who or what you are the father of, be it blood relation or a chosen role. Here are some quotes for you:

I was raised by my father most of my life. I’m part sailor, part farmer, part craftsman. I was taught I could be anything I wanted to be, but that I needed to work for it. Although he worked an eight to ten hour a day job, he never missed an awards ceremony or a school assembly where parents were invited. He always took time to listen, and was never less than fair. As he said about his own father, the older I got, the smarter my father got. I also realized that, even though it embarrassed me how we opened the refrigerator door with a screwdriver, everyone loved to gather at my house. They knew that no matter who they were, if they were my friends, they’d be welcomed with open arms and an open heart. He passed away shortly before I got married, and I’ll miss him until we meet again.

I mostly watched reruns of The Office today, but since Fear the Walking Dead was replaced by Jaws 2 tonight, I was thrilled to be able to watch 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? in its entirety, and not at 2 in the morning. I’m somewhat obsessed with this show because it’s like the worst people in the world are on it. Okay, Jax isn’t on it, and maybe Big Brother might take the number one spot, but some really awful people are on this show. And I love it. Here’s my take on the couples so far. Obviously, Mohamad (still watching for that headline with his picture) and Danielle aren’t joining the cast, and the least horrible people, Lauren and Alexi, chose not to participate, as they want some privacy. So without further ado…
90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?
Pao and Russ went to Columbia to visit her dying grandmother. Whatever the hell city she’s from was very engaging and colorful, with a carnival atmosphere, but she’s apparently never been to NYC, since she said no city had that much passion in the US. I’m starting to think these two deserve each other. Pao is a selfish twit, insisting Russ move to Miami, leaving his native Oklahoma where he could actually make some money, because she wanted to further her nudepicture modeling career. The sad part is, her family seem like decent people, and she claims to love them oh-so-much, but she’s barely talked to them in years, since moving to the States. I’m waiting for her to blame Russ, even though it’s obvious she loves Miami and being photographed naked for whatever gigs she does. (During the previews for next week, it looks like her family is going to blame Russ.) I should add that I’ve never seen her get her picture taken when she’s totally nakey, but might as well be. Russ isn’t happy about the lack of clothing, or even lingerie, which he finds different from a bikini because it evokes thoughts of bedroom antics. She’s basically called him a stick-in-the-mud for feeling the way he does, but I disagree. I’m not prude by any stretch of the imagination, but she knew how he felt, and agreed to terms she didn’t keep – all for the sake of this illustrious career. Honey, you are thirty. And while thirty isn’t old (I’d love to see it again), no one starts modeling at thirty. More like thirteen. I’m not denying that she’s doing legit modeling of some kind, but she acts like she’s Heidi Klum whenever she talks about her “career.” On the other hand, Russ can totally be a wet blanket. While in the city whose name I don’t know, a large group of motorcyclists came past. It turned out that Pao had known one of them since she was a teenager, and they’d briefly dated. Russ kept saying what tough guys bikers were, but dude, these guys were wearing neon and had stickers on their helmets. They were not the Hell’s Angels. To his credit, he did get on a bike for a spin, along with Pao, who rode with her friend. Russ got bent out of shape afterwards, when Pao said she and biker guy had dated, but it wasn’t anything serious. I mean, come on, it’s not like she suddenly hatched when she met him. She also has that mean queen friend, Juan, who’s been outright rude to Russ from the jump, probably because he lost his drinking/gossip buddy. I can’t imagine allowing a friend to talk to your SO the way Juan talks to Russ. Pao has repeatedly acted like she just doesn’t know what to do in the situation, but I know what I’d do. Dump Juan. I’m sure we’ll see him later in the season.
I just shook my head watching Anfisa and Jorge. First, he sought advice about divorce, and even his attorney thought he seemed more relaxed without Anfisa screeching at him every five minutes. I get it. He lied to her. But she could have gone back to Moscow if she’d wanted to, and she didn’t. Anyway, I blinked, and the next thing I knew, he couldn’t live without her again. They met at a restaurant, and she agreed to give it another shot, providing they get marriage counseling. But it looks like next week, she’s back on the fence again. I give up. Another two who deserve each other. I finally found out what the deal was that Jorge was alluding to with her profession in The Couples Tell All. Apparently, she’s done a nakey video with herself. While I didn’t look at the video, I did see some almost tasteful stills from RadarOnline, and it sure looks like her, pre boob job.
What I still haven’t found out is why Pedro calls Chantel Pinky. Maybe I don’t want to know. Their story was much of the same. Pedro’s momma is still waiting on her TV, whining for money, and saying his name in the most annoying way possible. He finally said he’d send her money to get her own damn TV, since it would be $1500 to ship. And I cry over $8. Chantel thought Pedro and her family would bond during a trip to a mountain cabin for five days. Pedro reluctantly agreed to go, but in the preview, says he wants to leave. So many cast members on reality shows love to cut out when the going gets tough, they should issue roller blades with every contract. He’s never going to forgive them for the display of disrespect to his family in the DR. My jury is out on that. After his mother called them stupid Americans and offered them chicken feet to eat, I’m not so sure I blamed them for not wanting more of the same. For the record, Pedro kept saying they eat chicken feet all the time, but other than his cursory nibble at one to prove his point, they went untouched by all. His mother and sister were definitely playing Chantel’s family. On the other hand, her family overreacted when they went to his grandma’s house in the middle of nowhere, sat in the car for a couple of hours, refusing to get out, and then left.
Molly decided to give Luis another chance, although I’m not sure why. Despite his insane ranting at her last season, about having Buddhas and owls all over the place, he actually seems like an okay guy. An okay guy who isn’t ready for the responsibility of a family. Daughter Olivia booked, deciding to stay at her boyfriend’s house while Luis was in the picture. Molly tracked her down, and Olivia said she was being selfish, but agreed to try and work things out. It sounded like Molly said she was done again, but we’ve been there before. SPOILER: I read that Molly has since filed for divorce, and Luis went on a social media rant about how TLC is racist and he’s going to sue them. Good luck with that.
Azan was still waiting on his K1 visa, while Nicole was on pins and needles. When Azan finally did call, no surprise, the video began to break up. How bad is the Wi-Fi in Morocco anyway? First, Azan was required to get a statement from a third party, confirming that the two of them had actually been a couple during the past two years. Then he was denied. Nicole’s mom thought maybe he didn’t really want to come, and had sabotaged things, but in the preview, the lawyer Nicole sees, tells her that he has ties to drug smugglers. Ruh Roh! These two seem too young to be getting that involved anyway. Face it, her weight is always going to be an issue for him, and she’s just looking for a daddy for her daughter.
Annie and David were living in friend Chris’s refurbished firehouse – mega cool digs – but Chris’s wife put the kibosh on Chris funding David. While I’m not sure what David’s problem is with the job thing, it seemed kind of mean to cut him off abruptly when Chris had promised to float him for a few months. He also suddenly asked for $1000 a month rent, which was like a double-whammy. Annie can’t work because she hasn’t gotten her green card yet, and she’s going stir crazy, since she can’t get a driver’s license either. Life in America hasn’t worked out the way she thought, since they’re clipping coupons and she had to pawn her jewelry. That’s right. You can’t believe everything you see on TV – we are not all the Carringtons. His son is moving in with them, which doesn’t make newlywed Annie too happy, since she likes being loud during sex, and… Never mind, it’s bad enough she gave me a mental picture that I can never erase.
🐎 Thoughts on Westworld, which I also got to watch in its regular time-slot. Wow. This show is a little depressing, but I love a good head lopping, and we’re getting a lot of that. The Shogunworld storyline was sad, and so is the wiping of Teddy’s mind. Mostly because I like James Marsden. It looks like Delores is only on her own side, and Maeve has telepathic powers, but is using them for good, trying to help other hosts and humans. Too bad she was a little late for Sakura. I did approve of the man bun on the dudes in Shogunworld, so they are now added to the list of one – Josh from Sweet Home Oklahoma – that gets my okay. Another thought – whose cleaning up that mess?
🍸 Monday night at 9 pm, BRAVO will be serving up Vanderpump Rules: Secrets Revealed. It’s also being rerun at 10 pm. I love the Secrets shows. They were once called Lost Footage, until the network stopped insulting the viewers with that title. Like I really thought Andy Cohen looked in one of his desk drawers and suddenly found it. The clips are random, but usually more lighthearted, and I swear they save a few things that are better than what we’ve seen during the season.
🏥 General Hospital has no new episode tomorrow. They’re airing the episode from April 13. Normally on a holiday, they rerun something significant, but I can’t tell from the blurb which one it is; it’s so vague.

Fear the Walking Dead
John opens the box with the matching pistols, and cleans and loads them. He sees a zombie wading through the creek. He puts a board over his ditch moat, and whacks it with an ax. Smart move to save bullets.
He lies in bed listening to Billy Bass, who I guess is his alarm clock. He washes up, makes the bed, and plays Scrabble with himself. He says, people, as he washes the breakfast dishes. He runs down a list of various words as he has coffee on the porch. He continues as he does chores. He says platypus, and uses it in his next Scrabble game. As night falls, he watches DVDs.
There’s a sound outside. John says, not another one, and asks himself where they’re coming from. He finds Naomi in a canoe on the shore, barely conscious, and brings her in. She says she has to get back, and he tells her she’s safe, but injured. He looks at a gash in her side. The good news is, it’s not a bite. He tells her he’ll take care of it as best he can.
The next morning, he finds Naomi looking in the truck for his keys. He tells her they’re on the top of the visor, and she might want to avoid reverse. He says she has a pretty bad cut. She gets in the truck and closes the door. It won’t start, and he says it needs a new battery. He tells her if she wants to go, he might as well set her up with food and water. She should get some rest, and change the bandage on her wound too.
Inside, Naomi looks at her wound. She starts to stitch it up herself, and says she can’t. She asks John to do it, and gives him instructions, saying, just do it.
John makes fish stew for dinner. He tells Naomi, the French call it bouillabaisse, presenting her with a bowl, saying, soup is the blanket of food. He tells her to enjoy, and introduces himself. She thanks him. He says she looks like a Laura, and asks if it’s an acceptable substitute. He tells her about a job he once had, teaching kids at a pea shooting range, and says she can stay as long as she likes. She says she’ll be moving on, and he offers her food and shelter until she’s ready, but the next time she wants something, ask. He wonders if she’s a doctor or nurse, and tells her to take the bed; he only sleeps an hour or two if he’s lucky. She asks how he knew she was a nurse. He says he doesn’t know many people who could stick a needle in their side. He asks if she was a nurse until… and she says, yeah. He says it seems like forever ago, and she agrees.
Naomi is restless. She sees the couch is empty and gets up. John is cleaning the pistols. He hears her but when he turns around, she’s gone.
John whacks some more zombies in the creek area. Naomi comes out, and asks if they wash up. He says, there’s something amiss up river. He tells her that he goes to the store on Tuesday, and she says she’ll come. He thinks she should rest, but Naomi is insistent. He supposes he wouldn’t mind he company, and gives her a pair of boots, telling her there are snakes. She declines, saying she won’t be able to run in them. He leaves them on the porch in case she changes her mind.
They take the canoe down the river. She asks if he’s been there long, and he says, a good while. She asks what he did before, and he tells her that he was a police officer. She wonders why he didn’t bring his guns; she thought all cops have them, but he says they cause more problems than they solve. She asks if he liked being a cop, and he says, at one time. Zombies walk the bridge, and one falls in. Naomi takes out her knife, but John pushes it into the water with his oar, and they go past. He notes that a broken part of the bridge railing needs tending to.
John docks the boat, and they head for the store. He says it’s been in Bill’s family for sixty years. Naomi asks where Bill is now, but John doesn’t know. They closed the road for repair before things went south, and he hasn’t seen him since. They walk into a fully-stocked store, and John tells Naomi to help herself. She gets a knapsack. and fills it, while he gets supplies. Naomi moves some merchandise around, and John asks if she’s rearranging things. She explains that people need splints and dressings, and aren’t always thinking. She’s just doing her part. He tells her how his name is Dorie, like the fish, except ie.
Outside, he says they’re going to need a ladder. They fix the bridge, and John asks if he can call her Laura. She says that’s fine, but she won’t be staying long. A zombie toddles toward them, and she stabs it in the head.
While lying in bed, Laura hears a movie playing, and comes out. John says sorry for disturbing her (which my autocorrect wanted to change to disrobing her – ha-ha!). It’s usually his movie night, although every night is getting to be movie night. She gets some water, and he says he’ll turn the volume down. He asks if she wants some popcorn. She doesn’t, but she sits on the couch. I’m trying to figure out what the movie is from the dialogue we can hear, but I can’t. He tells her about the snacks he makes on movie night, and suggests concocting something.
John snoozes, and Laura looks at him. He opens his eyes, and she says she lost her child. She gets up, and goes back to bed.
Laura wants John to teach her to fish. It’s a resource, so she should know how. They go out on the river, and he instructs her. She hooks a fish, and gets all excited. He teaches her how to clean and gut it. They have it for dinner, and she thanks him. They play Scrabble.
There’s more fishing the next day, and Laura prepares it herself. That afternoon, John clips her stitches. He says she might have a scar, but nothing too bad. She thinks she should be going, since she’s healed up, but she’ll take a couple days to pack some things. John goes outside, and chops a zombie’s head in half. Laura says they need something stronger to block the opening; a car at Bill’s might still have a charge. She helped him, and it’s the least she can do. He gets wheel barrow, and loads up the zombie he downed.
At the bridge, John asks how Laura learned to hot wire a car, and she asks if he’s going to arrest her. He sees she’s got one of his pistols, and says he asked her not to go through his things. She tells him that they might need protection, but he says she’s good with a knife; the noise from the gun just brings more zombies. She says they’re no good in a box, but he wants them in a box, not out there. He gets out of the truck.
John walks through the zombies, whacking them. Laura gets the ones he doesn’t, and it’s a chopfest. They drive a truck to the opening, blocking it. Laura is on the truck, but outside of the cab, guiding John. The zombies begin to gather, and Laura tells John to shoot them. They’re pushing at the car, and one zombie breaks the window with the machete that’s poking through him, and is now six inches from John’s face. He stabs at it, while Laura keeps yelling for him to shoot. John finally deals a fatal blow, but then won’t stop stabbing once it’s over. He and Laura are both covered in the blood that has sprayed everywhere.
Back at the cabin, Laura scrubs at their clothing. John says he didn’t get bit, but she says she’s seen people get sick from being exposed. He tells her that he didn’t mean for it to happen. She says he had a gun. He says that’s not how he does things, and she says it nearly got him killed. He says, better him than someone else. She asks if what he’s talking about has to do with why he doesn’t want to talk about being a cop. She asks what happened; did he take it or fire it? He says he fired. She says, good guy or bad guy? He says that’s not the way he looks at things, but she’d call him bad. She asks if it was a mistake or intentional, and he says, intentional. It was an intentional mistake. He stopped at the gas station, and a guy was robbing the place. John told him that he was a police officer, and to put his weapon down, but he would not. He tried to clip the guy in the leg. John starts to choke up, and Laura tells him it’s okay. John says, the guy turned, and he hit him dead center in the leg, and he bled out. Laura asks if that’s why he moved up there, but he says, no. People thought he was a hero. She says, it doesn’t matter how many people say it’s not your fault; what matters is if you believe it.
On the bridge, the zombies clamor at the truck. It starts to roll, and they start falling into the river.
Laura and John are sleeping, when John hears a lot of zombie noises. That’s because there are a sh*tload of them coming toward his house. He calls to Laura, and starts to whack them as they come out of the creek. Laura whacks and chops at them with a shovel, but they’re all falling into the moat, creating a bridge for the ones still coming. They’re surrounded, and Laura tumbles into the moat. John suddenly has the guns, one in each hand, and shoots with both at once, doing that twirling-the-guns thing. The last one is inches from Laura’s face and it’s hard to aim, but he does it, and kills the zombie. Holy! Even though we know both of them make it, I was holding my breath.
John surveys the mess. Laura sits next to him on the steps. She thanks him. She says he might not think he’s a hero, but she does. He’s an honorable person, and she’s very, very lucky to have washed up in his front yard. He gives her one of the pistols, telling her, if she’s going, she’ll need it, and he needs her to take it.
They sit on the couch. John gets up, and Laura asks what it is; why won’t he look at her? He says he loves her, but he didn’t want her to know. She asks why, and he says because she’s leaving, and he doesn’t want her to. He says if she wants the cabin, he’ll go. He tells her that he needs her alive. If she’s alive, the whole world feels alive. They kiss. At this point, I’m liking him too.
John wakes up to Billy Bass – alone. He looks around, and calls Laura’s name. He sees her shoes where the boots were on the porch. On the table is, I love you too Im sorry, in Scrabble letters.
Morgan and John sit by the side of the road. Morgan says, she loved you, and John says, yes. John says, maybe if he’d waited to tell her… but Morgan says, no waiting; not in this world. Waiting is how you lose people. John says he believed he had a second chance; it was stupid. Morgan says they still do. Madison, Victor, Luci; they’re still here. They think the only thing left is to fight, kill, or die. John says, maybe they’re right. Morgan tells John to look him in the eye, and tell him that’s what he believes. If he can do that, they’ll go their separate ways. John says he doesn’t believe it. Morgan says, they’re alive. They’re part of the world. Let’s not waste another second.
Morgan gets up, and gathers his stuff. John puts the other pistol in his holster. They walk down the road.
Nice episode.
Next time, John uses the pistols some more, Mel tells Madison to be careful, and Naomi says it’s dangerous.

A white-fleshed sea fish found in European waters, John Dory (also known as St Peter’s fish), is an odd-looking creature with an oval, flat body and a large, spiny head. 💀 🔊 Talking Dead was a good one too, the guests being Yvette Nicole Brown and Jenna Elfman. The artistry of the episode was discussed, and it really was beautifully filmed. The scenery was gorgeous, but John’s cabin was also an amazing setting. Yvette talked about how she has an investment in the characters after knowing the backstory. I was with her there, but I’ve always had more investment in the characters from Fear than those in The Walking Dead. From the jump, they were more multi-faceted. TWD needs a charming rogue like Victor, trading barbs and sexual tension with Maggie. I was surprised nobody brought up Naomi/Laura having lost her child, but Jenna Elfman was very cagey about where the story was going next. I wondered if her child was Charlie. Also surprising was the gift an audience member went home with – a canoe. A clip of Garrett Dillahunt (John) talking about filming the episode, gave me a quote that I not only couldn’t resist adding, but could relate to: It’s only been six days but I feel twenty-seven days tired.
This did not include my own mother’s favorite, this is not a restaurant, which I actually heard come out of my own mouth while babysitting my neighbor’s twins. Although my mom wasn’t Irish, that list looks pretty mom universal.

Sonny tells Jason that if they dig up what he did, his life will get blown apart.
At the MetroCourt, Anna leaves another message for Robert. She writes an email to Henrik from his mother. She says now that Faison is dead, she can tell him the truth about why she was forced to give him up when he was born. Valentin sits down and says she’s been avoiding him.
Curtis sits with Nina, and tells her she’s all work and no play. She says if her brother’s letters are any indication, she’s always been cool and interesting. He says, the ones he found in Peter’s office? She thanks him for a job well done, and gives him an envelope. He says it’s his pleasure, and amends that to extreme pleasure when he sees what’s inside. He asks if she’s sure she doesn’t want him to do any extra digging, but she says she was just angry. She was being paranoid and overprotective about Maxie. Peter isn’t a threat.
Peter reads his mother’s email, and says he can hear the excuses already. He leaves a message for Valentin to call him – now. Sam drops by, and says she’s given more thought to what they discussed. She was surprised he told her it would be better off if she left. She asks him, why?
Carly yells, screw you, Ava! and throws the penguin mobile against the fireplace. Olivia says they all know how she hates Ava. They know what she did to Morgan and Connie – and her – but if she can keep her cool, so can Carly.
Jason tells Sonny it’s been decades. There’s nothing to connect him to the body. Sonny wouldn’t say that, since there have been major strides in forensics since then. A young kid on his first job made the mistake of burying the gun too. If they find a partial print and run it through the system, it will be Christmas for the Feds. Jason says they’d better get moving then.
Peter tells Sam he didn’t mean to imply the company would be better off without her. To be honest, Drew is more invested in the company. It might be difficult, if not impossible. for them to work together. It’s in Drew’s best interest if she walks away.
Curtis needs Nina to help him pick the right one. He shows her his phone, and she asks if that’s what she thinks it is. He says he’s going to propose to Jordan, and needs help in picking the perfect ring.
Valentin tells Anna that he can’t get ahold of Robert; he seems to have fallen off the grid. Anna says that’s what good agents do. Valentin wanted to follow up on the conundrum box with him. He put some thought in it, and remembers seeing one like it on Cassadine Island. He offers to have it dug up, but Anna passes that to Robert. Valentin is surprised she doesn’t want to check it out herself. He says Robert made it sound urgent, and he thought it had something to do with Henrik.
Carly says Ava brought Avery to the shower to flaunt it in her face. Ava says Avery is her daughter, and she’ll bring her where she wants. Carly says that’s only because she threatened to send Mike to prison. Ava says she’s like Carly, and will do anything for her children. Nelle apologizes, telling them to blame her. Carly says she’s not sorry; she’s thrilled. Monica reminds everyone that it’s a baby shower, and now it’s been brought to a halt in an argument about penguins. Bobbie says that’s not what the fight is about. She knows Nelle did it on purpose. Monica says it’s her shower. If she wants penguins, she can ask for penguins. Carly asks if her mother is the only one who sees Nelle for the snake she is.
Olivia suggests they play the baby bag game, where they guess what’s in the bag without looking at it. Olivia tells Carly that she knows it’s hard. She doesn’t like Nelle any better than Carly does. Ava hears her, and asks why come, let alone host the shower? Olivia says the baby is a Quartermaine, and after what Nelle pulled, Carly has every right to be skeptical. Nelle starts to interject, but Olivia suggests she quit while she’s ahead. Bobbie tells Carly that she can’t go in guns blazing. If she won’t do it for the baby or Michael, do it for herself. It’s not the battle to be picking right now. Carly steps away and takes a pill.
Nina looks through the rings. Curtis knows it will hurt one person and he’ll have no true peace, but it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks. He and Jordan keep running away, and end up in the same place. Their last resort is to surrender, and promise to honor their bond every day for the rest of their lives. Nina says this is the one. It’s poetic yet honest, dazzling yet direct, and undeniably romantic. It’s like Jordan is for him, and him for her. Curtis looks at it and says she’s good. Nina says she is, and also happy for him. He’s been a good friend, indulging her with the investigation. He says she thought something was wrong, now it’s not, so that’s good news. She says Peter is on the up and up, and asks him to tell Sam that she was wrong. He has the best of intentions.
Sam asks if Peter thinks it’s impossible for them to work together. He says not to sound insensitive, but they’re getting a divorce. It would be better to have one CEO than two who are struggling with one another. She says she’s made her decision, and she’s staying. She tells him to let everyone who expressed concern know that she’s back and not going anywhere.
Anna tells Valentin that Robert is personally taking over the search for her son. She’d lost perspective, and her health suffered for it. Valentin asks if it’s serious, but Anna says she just needs to rest. She’s fine, and doesn’t need his sympathy. She needs to focus on the family she already has, and not be fixated on making things right with her son. Robert pointed out it might have a negative effect on Robin. Valentin says it’s shocking, but he agrees with Robert. She should focus on the child has, not the one she doesn’t know.
Maxie comes into Peter’s office, and tells him that Nina showed her the folder he put together. He takes it that he owes her an apology. She asks if he’s kidding. Both she and Nina are beyond grateful. For Nina, it’s a keepsake of her brother, and for Maxie and the baby, it will be a window to what Nathan was like growing up. He wishes he’d given it to them sooner. When he sees it from Nina’s point of view, he can understand why she was suspicious. Maxie says Nina now sees what a good guy he is.
Nelle feels terrible. Monica opened her home to make this beautiful day happen. Carly has every reason not to trust her, but Nelle has to make it right. All she wants to do is build bridges and make amends. Olivia says now is not the time, but Nelle says what better time is there than when they’re celebrating the baby. She tells Carly that when she wanted name the baby Morgan, she was sincere. Carly says she has no reason to believe her, and Nelle says she’s right; she doesn’t. Josslyn says Nelle didn’t mean to be insensitive; she just wanted to do something nice. Carly is sure that’s what Nelle told her. Josslyn says even when Nelle told her that she admired her as a mother, and trusted her with guardianship of the baby, even that was a mistake. She just wanted to honor Morgan. Let her make things right.
Maxie tells Peter that Crimson is donating the programs. Peter laughs, saying he just wishes Nina would tell him something ahead of time. Maxie says Nina’s motto is that it’s better to ask for forgiveness than permission. She wishes it didn’t mean she has to attend. Peter feigns shock, and says, Maxie Jones missing the social event of the season? She must be feverish and delusional, and needs to go home immediately. She tells him that last year, she was in Portland and missed it, so she and Nathan were going to do it up this year. She suggests sending an intern so they understand with glamour there is always pain. Peter says, or they could go together; he would appreciate the company. She says it would be easier to go with a friend, if he doesn’t mind walking the red carpet with a very pregnant lady. He says they’re on.
Carly tells Nelle that if she wants to make it right, stop saying Morgan’s name. She says Nelle only wants to hurt her, like with her friendship with Josslyn. Nelle is using Josslyn because she resents their loving family, and wants to destroy it. No one is buying her noble victim act. She doesn’t want to make amends or honor Morgan, she just wants to get Michael back. And everyone knows he’s too good for her. Nelle runs out of the room, crying. Monica says, so much for playing nice.
Jason and Sonny arrive at the field in Croton, using the Star Trek transporter. Jason says, they’ll be breaking ground any day, and Sonny tells him, this is it; between the columns and the water tower. He suggests they get past the nostalgia, and do what they came to do.
Bobbie tells Monica it’s a sensitive subject, and Monica says no one knows better than she the pain of mourning a son; ask Sonny. She suggests Carly suck it up, and treat Nelle with courtesy, and if she can’t, fake it. Josslyn asks if she couldn’t be nice for a change. Bobbie says Nelle was baiting Carly all afternoon. Josslyn says Nelle is insecure, and tries too hard because she loves Michael. They’re having a baby, and she’s the reason Josslyn is alive, if that counts for anything. Carly knows how badly Josslyn wants Nelle to be a good person, but wanting something doesn’t make it true. Josslyn asks if Carly is going to hate Nelle for the rest of her life, and blow up at every birthday party. She asks if Carly thinks Nelle will want to bring the baby to their house if Carly is going to fight with her. If she doesn’t make things right, Nelle will give up on them, and make her family with the Quartermaines. Josslyn will have to choose, and she doesn’t want to do that. She’s always telling Josslyn to take responsibility; why can’t she? Whatever Nelle did was wrong, but Carly was out of line. Why can’t she say she’s sorry, and forget it? Bobbie says Carly isn’t wrong, and Josslyn says, her too. She asks Carly, who’s more important, Nelle or her daughter? Carly says that’s ridiculous; Josslyn is her heart. Josslyn says, then suck it up and apologize. She wants to see her make the gesture. I want one of those giant balloons with a tassel. Carly says, okay, she’ll apologize to Nelle.
Jason and Sonny dig. Jason says it’s packed tight. He doubts anyone has been out there since Sonny was. He asks how far down, and Sonny says six feet; that’s how far he dug. Sonny has to take a break. Jason keeps digging. Sonny says that Skully had everything he wanted; money, respect, and power. What he wanted most was the power. His dad didn’t have it, and he knew it would cost him, but he didn’t care. He had two choices – be powerful like Skully, or weak like his dad. Here they are thirty years later, his dad is starting to lose everything, and it’s brought him back to the place it started. How about that?
Anna tells Valentin if he and Robert agree, who is she to argue? He asks if she’s being facetious, and she says, actually, she’s not. Faison stole a lot of her time, and now he’s gone. Carly seeks out Nelle in the nursery. She says Monica went all out. Nelle says at least somebody cares about the baby. Carly says she’s sorry. Nelle had no reason to know penguins were Morgan’s favorite. She’ll love the baby with everything she has. Nelle knows she will. Carly says as distasteful as it is, they have to call a truce. Nelle asks how she proposes they do that?
Nelle picks up the blanket she’s been knitting. Carly asks where she got that? Morgan had one just like it; her mom made it. Nelle says she had no idea. Carly says it’s her. All of it; the scarf, the calls. She smashed the picture, and put the note on Carly’s car, sending her to Morgan’s grave. Nelle asks if she’s feeling okay; she’s not making much sense. Carly says she sees what Nelle is doing, and it’s not going to work. She underestimated her. She’s good, but it’s over. Nelle says if she didn’t know better, she’d think Carly was losing it. The situation is perfect for getting Carly to smack her while she’s pregnant. Then she can cry in Josslyn’s arms. It’s not going to happen. She sees Nelle for who she is. Nelle says she’s carrying a baby that Michael loves. She says he appreciated that she was there for him when Avery disappeared. Carly says she was circling like a vulture to make herself look good. Nelle says it’s because she loves him. She’ll be there to ease the pain about his grandfather, and they’ll tells stories to the baby about him one day. She’s there for all of them. If Carly needs anything, just say the word. Carly says, it will be a cold day in hell. Nelle says, if she didn’t know better, she’d think Carly was having a breakdown. She must recognize the signs. She did when she threw Nelle’s breakdown in her face. She shouldn’t throw stones, since she spent time in a mental hospital herself.
Sam sees Maxie at the MetroCourt, and asks if she’ll be her date for the Nurses’ Ball. Maxie says she just promised Peter she’d go with him. Sam says she can fill him in on what happens. Nina tells Curtis good luck, and when he leaves, Maxie sits down. She wonders why everyone needs luck. Nina says she can’t tell her. Maxie says that something is happening, and she wants Nina to hear it from her first.
Curtis tells Sam that it’s off; Nina pulled the plug. He don’t know what Peter is selling, but Nina is buying it wholesale. Sam says if they keep it quiet, he’ll think he’s in the clear. He’s involved with too many people she cares about. She’s not letting it go.
Peter looks at an email from his mother, saying she wants to finally get to know him. He asks, is that what you want, mom?
Jason says they should hit the body soon. Sonny keeps thinking about when Jason came to work with him. He didn’t intend it to be the rest of Jason’s life. He didn’t know he’d rely so much on him. He can’t have own life because Sonny has trapped him. Jason says he chose his own life, but Sonny wants him to know he’s not taking it for granted. Jason says Sonny, Carly, and Michael are his family; they’re good. Sonny gets a flashlight. Jason hits something. It’s a dollar sign money clip.
Carly says it was all a ploy. Nelle set her up with the shower gift. She’s using the baby shower to hurt her and freak her out in front of Josslyn. Nelle says it must be a banner day for her, and a tragic one for Michael with his mother unbalanced and dangerous. She’ll have to get checked out before they let her have access to the baby. Carly says, think again, bitch. She’ll never get away. Nelle says, watch her.
Sonny remembers it like yesterday, the dude he buried flashing wads of cash. Jason says that’s all there is. There’s no body.
Anna types an email from Henrik’s mother. She tells him, for his own protection, not to trust Valentin Cassadine.
Curtis tells Sam that Nina might be satisfied, but there are too many unanswered questions. He suggests they work together.
Nina thinks Maxie going to the Ball with Peter is great. It’s good for her. Maxie says, so she doesn’t need the speech where she valiantly, but unsuccessfully, promotes Peter? Nina says she thought he was hiding a deep, dark secret, but he’s just a thoughtful guy. Maxie says, I told you so, and Nina says it’s the only one she’s going to get. She’s sorry she was overprotective. With Nathan gone, she thought it was her job to watch out for Maxie. She thought he’d want it that way. Maxie says, he would, but Nina says she took it too far. Her heart is in the right place, but Peter isn’t someone Maxie needs protection from.
Peter reads the email about Valentin. Valentin shows up at his office, and asks if he’s disturbing Peter. Peter says, on the contrary. He just left a message demanding Valentin call him back. It’s better face-to-face when there’s an important matter to discuss. He wants to know if they’re on the same page.
At the shower, everyone is playing Olivia’s baby bag game. Brad guesses, a toy. Olivia says every child under the age of six months thinks everything counts as a toy. It’s a wooden spoon.
Upstairs, Carly says she will not let Nelle get her hands on her son. Nelle leaves the room, and Carly makes a grab for the blanket. They struggle over it at the top of the stairs, and no surprise, Nelle falls down them. I’ve been wondering if something like that was going to happen.
On Monday, Jordan says she’s not ready for marriage, Jason thinks the body was moved, and Monica wants to call the police.
💍 In anticipation of the new season of 90 Day Fiancé (May 20th), TLC has been taking the pieces of each couples’ story shown throughout a season and putting them together, adding a new branch to the franchise tree. Tonight, was Jorge and Anfisa: Our Continuing Journey, and I couldn’t resist. They had a journey, all right. I never did quite get a handle on these two. I hadn’t seen them in the beginning, so that part was new to me. Apparently, Jorge had quite a thing going with dealing medical weed, as well as designing packaging for it. He’d designed a bag that didn’t let in ultra-violet rays or something like that, and it kept the weed fresher. You’d think that would have set him up for life. He’d told Anfisa that he was a millionaire, and they had traveled a bit together, but after she got here, she found out he was actually in debt. Jorge lost his job, although that wasn’t clear if it was because Anfisa kept interrupting his $15K drug deal with screaming mimi phone calls. While I totally get that she felt she’d been duped, she reacted like a toddler, throwing many literal temper tantrums. On the other hand, Jorge had the emotional range of a potato, so maybe she was just trying to get a reaction. Any reaction. She wanted to live the good life, but with Jorge, it was less than mediocre. The final straw came when Jorge’s sister accused Anfisa of only spreading her legs for Jorge when he had money, and he just sat there like the emotionless sack of flour he was during the entire relationship. She walked out, finding a life of her own. These two were just bizarre. At times, they seemed like bad actors, their conversation and mannerisms stilted and wooden.
The really weird part came during The Couples Tell All episodes (what you call a reunion). They arrived together, and were sharing a hotel room. During all three episodes, Jorge intimated he had some juicy information about Anfisa, claiming it was something she wanted to keep hidden. Even though the host eventually had a two-on-one with them, Jorge never really spilled the beans. Was she a hooker escort? A stripper An exotic dancer? Part of the Russian mob? A potato farmer trying to capture him? What? We may never know. Another question on my list for God when I meet Him. She made it clear she’d expected a life of luxury and Jorge didn’t deliver, and the rest of the couples were of one mind that this was not a love match. Still, there were glimmers of humanity, like when Anfisa cried at the civil ceremony. Although she could have been crying about the United States not being the land of opportunity she’d thought it was.

What I watched today was, unfortunately, not much of anything. Sadly, thanks to Verizon, I have no internet, TV, or phone (borrowed this one). While it’s been fun watching the DVD of The Beastmaster with commententary, and several extra features from my set of Downton Abbey DVDs, it’s killing me that I won’t be able to see The Walking Dead/Fear the Walking Dead crossover, much less recap them. Quell disappointment! Hopefully, I’ll be back in business tomorrow and will be able to catch up On Demand. If I can, I’ll do a mini-cap. Until then, enjoy your TV watching without me.
