What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

There was no General Hospital today, due to the hearings. I thought this is why stations like CNN were invented. I watched about five minutes, then switched to People’s Court.

Shahs of Sunset

Some of the group meet at Mike’s before the Vegas trip. MJ says Vegas is about sinning, gambling, and bachelorette parties. Tommy told her go party on her own, but before she left, he told her not to do anything he didn’t like. She informs everyone she didn’t pack any underwear. Mike says, that’s good to know. MJ has fond memories of driving to Vegas in her first car with her dad. He told her, win or lose, your expression doesn’t change.

In Reza’s interview, He says MJ has a hardcore attitude toward bachelor parties. He was excited for his, but she turned it into a debaucherously, disgusting hot mess of a night. He was wearing underwear on his head and making out with strippers, but he’s not going to do her dirty the way she did him. Plus, he wants to see her get married. Reza tells GG that he’s excite for her to sleep with Nema.

Nema is finishing with work. Destiney in the blue hair, and Shervin in corn rows, come to pick him up. In her interview, Destiney says she can’t stick one color lipstick, never mind hair. She’s going to be who she wants to be in Vegas.

Everyone meets at the airport. On the plane, the pilot gives MJ a shout out. The limo picking them up is outrageously long, and Mike tells everyone to drink up. He’s sexier and funnier that way. In his interview, Mike says he spent most of his twenties in Vegas. Once you have a connection in Vegas, it never forgets you. We flash back to Mike on the last Vegas trip. He says he made money, spent ten years there, lost money, and came back with his tail between his legs.

When they get the Planet Hollywood hotel, Reza says, the turn up is real. Mike tells them to make it so they can come back again. There’s a table laden with food in the living area suite, and Reza says, Persians love to share food. As man of honor, it was his duty to have a beautiful buffet spread ready to chow down on when they got there. A sign says, same penis forever, and Nema tells MJ it’s her future. Mike tells Reza and Shervin four girls hit him up already, but he’s ignoring them.

Reza knows Morgan got angry, and left. In his interview, Reza says Mike claims to love Morgan, but he’s keeping her from meeting his parents. He thinks they’ll have a problem with her not being Jewish. Reza tells Mike that they’re both thugs, but Mike isn’t about certain things. In Mike’s interview, he says his parents have been through a lot with him. He wants to protect them from being nervous or anxious about what he’s doing, He’s not sure yet, so why rock the boat? Reza tells everyone to settle in their rooms.

Nema describes it as bedrooms upon bedrooms hidden in bedrooms. Everyone bounces on the beds, and gets situated. Reza brings MJ to the bridal suite, where there’s more food and rose petals all over the place. In her interview, MJ says she’s going to have mandatory sex in the champagne room. She’s clearly getting violated this weekend. Tommy said his bachelor party was a complete blackout, and she never questioned him. She says she might never leave.

Mike encourages Mona to drink more. GG says Shalom is obsessed with her, and Mike says he still loves her. In her interview, GG says Shalom wants the ring back, and he’s harassing her. Mike says he has deep-rooted love, and what she’s doing with the ring is so wrong. It gets back to him, Shervin’s heart bleeds for Shalom, but at the end of the day you can’t force it. In her interview, GG says it’s interesting how Mike is attempting to give her advice about Shalom. We flash back to him giving her a lecture at the last reunion. He says she’s implying a close relationship, and should take off the ring. It pisses her off, because she knows it’s all Shalom wants. Mike insists he’s not taking sides, and GG says he’s speaking for Shalom. She tells him, don’t get involved. Mike asks, why punish him more? In his interview, Mike says he’s the GG whisperer, since he’s known her forever, and can give her insight. He tells GG that he can make Shalom stop contacting her, and she appreciates it. Sammy arrives, and everyone drinks some more.

MJ gets ready with the bridesman/hairstylist, who is doing her hair in a high ponytail. In her interview, she says, the better you look, the worse you can behave. Reza wants to get going to the cabana he rented. Girls in bikinis hold up letters that welcome MJ. Reza wants to hit the pool, and hit it hard. He’s team MJ for life, and all people she loves are there; her dream team. Destiney takes photos. MJ is happy to be the person who’s not skinny in tough crowd who’s not going oh no. She feels sexy, and isn’t everyone’s type, but her fiancé loves it and she loves herself. Self-esteem on point.

Nema asks if MJ is ready for one d*ck forever. She says she’ll cheat on him if he doesn’t give her what she needs. In her interview, she says if she hits a dry spell with Tommy, she’ll panic. She says a good old-fashioned threat is a good way to keep people on their toes. She’ll do what she needs to do. The others try to get them in the pool, but Nema says they’re talking about marital sex. MJ finally joins them in the pool, which is huge and surprisingly not crowded.

Everyone gets ready for dinner. Destiney likes the way she smells; like spring. Reza says the reason Shervin is single is because he uses insect repellant as cologne. We flash to GG saying she’s plagiarized by his cologne. Reza says if you can’t breathe, stand next to him, and he’ll open your sinuses. He tells Shervin that Morgan decided to move out. While they’re having fun, Mike is dealing with sh*t. Maybe they can talk to him about breaking old patterns. In his interview, Reza thinks Mike should look at the situation with Morgan. He’s not catching on, and making the same mistake. It’s called insanity. As a friend, if he’s not catching on, he needs to help before Mike loses his girl. He thinks they should wait until Mike is a little drunk. Shervin agrees.

MJ’s makeup brushes are labeled with a label maker. I’m impressed. Adam asks, what’s the plan? and MJ says, do as much as she can without Tommy calling off the wedding. In her interview, MJ is pretty sure if something happened, this is the one time she can’t be convicted.

Everyone gets ready for dinner at Mr. Chow. Reza says, when Bugsy Siegel was thinking of Vegas, a Persian man must have been in his ea. Vegas was invented for Persians. They sit at an outside table. Reza is grateful to be there, and MJ says everyone looks great. GG asks Mike how he feels, and Mike says, good. She asks, when he feels good, if he likes to hurt others. She’s talking about his relationship with Shalom. MJ asks why they’re so close, and Reza says they’re both Persian and Jewish; there’s a connection. Mike says if she doesn’t want the guy, don’t wear the wedding ring. It’s a symbol of what they once had, and she’s giving mixed signals. He spoke with Shalom, and told him to stop bothering GG. We see a clip of him talking with Shalom on the phone. Shalom says he wants to be with GG, but Mike says she doesn’t see what he wants her to. Mike tells GG that Shalom promised to stop. MJ want to change the subject.

We flash back to when MJ first told everyone about Tommy. She says she fought for him. She’s not like the mama’s boys who live for their mothers. She lives for herself, and does what she wants. She tells Mike to take the opportunity to do the right thing. In her interview, MJ says he doesn’t want to introduce Morgan to his parents. They’ve all been misled by a Persian man, thinking they were his future wife, but then never meeting his parents. That’s not what Morgan wants. She asks Mike if Morgan knows he’s never going to marry her. After nine months, there’s no reason a forty-year-old wouldn’t introduce his girlfriend. He says wait until she’s married, and she says she didn’t marry someone and cheat on them. He can’t just pick on GG, and leave his life off the table. He says she slept with half the city, and she says she’s had the whole city. He gets up, and she follows.

MJ asks if Mike wants it. What about his 95,000 DMs? He says he’s not a whore, and she ask if he didn’t cheat on his wife. He says, sorry; it upsets him, and sits back down. In his interview, Reza says Mike has the nerve to call MJ a slut during her bachelorette weekend. It’s beyond him. Mike says MJ keeps on taking jabs, and Reza says, it’s two different levels. Reza thinks they should get real, and asks Mike what’s going on at home. Shervin asks if there aren’t any Morgan issues. Reza says the issue is, she’s gone, and Mike says not to antagonize him. In Mike’s interview, he says he doesn’t like when they get involved in his relationships. They try to force him into a position quicker than he’s comfortable. Shervin says he found out this morning that Morgan was moving out. Mike says it got out because he told Reza. In his interview, Mike says there aren’t too many people he confides in. He treated Reza like a brother. Why isn’t it reciprocal? He tells Reza, never again. He can’t trust him. He loves him like a brother, and would give him anything. Reza says this is a joke; he does everything. Mike gets up, says eff you, and leaves. GG says, let’s talk about Shalom again.

Destiney tries to get Mike to come back, but he doesn’t want to deal with sh*t. He gets in the elevator, along with Destiney and Shervin. He says he came to Reza as a brother, and he takes sh*t and twists it. Not cool. At the table, Reza says Mike is the most selfish human on the planet. He worked on Mike’s house for a year. We see clips of that. Reza says you would think Mike would check in on him, and see how he’s doing. In the elevator, Mike says he loves Reza, but he keeps doing this. It’s not fair.

Back at the table, Reza says after this much time, you’d think Mike could spring for a massage, but he hasn’t even gotten a card. he’ll say he appreciates it, but can Reza please finish his house?

Destiney and Shervin come back with Mike. GG toasts to MJ, and orders a Tito’s straight with no ice, as we’d all want to at that moment. MJ hopes the friendship is open enough to talks, and keeping it real. Keeping it strong, no matter what the cost. Mike refuses to clink glasses. In MJ’s interview, she says if they’re all in happy relationships, it’s best for the whole group. When there’s a breakdown in one, it has a domino effect. She knows Mike loves Morgan, and hopes he gets to that place where he needs them in order to make a decision. She leans on her friends. A win for them is a win for all. She apologizes for questioning Mike. Mike says it wasn’t a question; it was a statement. She says she’s sorry she crossed the line. Mike is sorry too. They hug, and Mike cries. He apologizes to GG like MJ has her arms around Mike from behind, and GG says if she did that, Mike would say she’s sexually harassing him. MJ tells him, don’t be mad at Reza. In his interview, Mike says he feels betrayed and it hurts. When it’s your best friend, it’s the worst feeling you can ever feel. If a friend betrays him, he cuts them out, and tightens the circle more.

They move on to the Tao nightclub. Congratulations to MJ and Tommy is on a big screen, and the bikini/letter girls are there, with MJ and Tommy. Reza isn’t letting Mike ruin his life. He’ll just keep his distance. Wtf? Let’s have fun. MJ says all her suitemates are on solo missions, but her gayntourage is there for her. She feels like Madonna probably did in the early 90s. Drinking, flirting, and dancing happens. MJ says she could chase after what Mike and Shervin are doing, but she’s doing right thing; going back to her room, and bonding with friends.

Back at the bridal suite, popcorn is everywhere and champagne is popped. MJ says she’s surrounded by amazing, talented people. She loves them and they love her, and she’s having the best time. It’s the perfect bachelorette party. It’s a memory that will be with her forever. It’s what fills her heart with love and joy. It’s not like her last trip to Vegas. We flash back to her being sloppy drunk, and Reza throwing her in the tub.

MJ gets the hotel guy to let her into Reza’s room. Reza and Adam are already sleeping, and she wakes them up, telling Reza it was almost perfect, except for Reza and Mike fighting. She doesn’t want Reza going to bed mad. Reza shows her to the door.

At the club, Nema chats up some women.

MJ wishes Tommy could be there. In her interview, she says, if anyone thinks she’d actually step out on Tommy, they need to modify their medication. She’s die hard, 100% there for him, and no one else.

Next time, last night in Vegas, trying to make sense of Mike’s crazy behavior, Morgan breaks up with Mike, and Vida doesn’t like MJ’s fabulous dress.

🍹The Shahs will return on October 11th.

Star

When we last left, Carlotta and Cassie had drawn guns on each other. They struggled, and Gladys Knight ended up getting shot. Throughout the show, Simone kept flashing back to the plane crash, and the slightly stalkerish fan who ended up next to her on the plane. Noah was back from rehab, and flashed back to his father stopping him from jumping off the roof. His father told Noah that it was a permanent solution to a temporary problem, and he didn’t raise Noah to be weak. Noah said it was the first thing his father had done for him in ten years; make it the last. Miss Lawrence told Noah that he had also gone to rehab, and offered him a listening ear.

Carlotta had another problem on her hands, when Matteo decided he no longer wanted to be part of the music business, and the tour was canceled. He told her Midtown Sound was over. As usual, she planned a crafty move by staging a Take 3 concert at a business event. This was after Noah’s latest squeeze had pulled a gun out at an earlier business meeting, and was hauled away by security. Carlotta informed Matteo that Gravity Records was now part of his company. Matteo told her, nice move, and gave her six months to deliver.

Gladys Knight told Cassie and Carlotta to fix it between them. Cassie said she never wanted to go to war with Carlotta, and Carlotta said she tried to keep the dream alive, but failed. Cassie ruined the moment by saying that Andy forced her hand, not taking responsibility for Jahil’s murder. Carlotta told Cassie that she didn’t need a gun to get respect, and walked out on her. Cassie met with Maurice, telling him that Carlotta wasn’t the only one with big plans, and that she needed a partner.

Alex and Simone admitted to hating Star, but missing her too. Carlotta met with the girls, and Star revealed she was pregnant. Simone also said it wasn’t working out for her in the DR, and she was asking Angel for a divorce. Carlotta said they owed her another album, and they had six months to produce it. She told them they were happier when they were together. Derek danced with his grandma to Fire, and I thought of Hell’s Kitchen. Later, when Derek was out, his grandma was confronted by a rapist. It was a very uncomfortable scene, and I’m hoping Derek arrives back home in time to nail this sleazebag.

The episode ended with Carlotta talking to Jahil, telling him, all these secrets and lies. She didn’t know how much more she could take. After a little conversation with him, she said she had this, as long as she had him.

The best hairdo of the night went to Queen Latifah, as always, with heavy-duty bangs, and shoulder length loose spiral curls, in dark brown with thin white streaks. I loved it! Miss Lawrence came in second with a long side swept bang, like Bieber, but better.

Next time, Noah wants to know if the baby is his, Simone has movie star potential, and Carlotta tells Cassie she’s not winning this war.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Finn looks at his dad’s chart. Anna comes downstairs, and he hides the chart. She asks if he got lost on his way to the bedroom. He says he’s just looking at the news on his tablet, and she says it’s a disaster out there. He pulls her over, and they kiss.

Alexis wonders how Sam made such an impressive breakfast, since she has Alexis’s DNA. Alexis tells Sam and Kristina that she has a meeting with Brad and Lucas. She says she has to reassure her anxious clients. They’re nervous first timers. Sam says, they’ll learn soon enough. Alexis says, you never stop worrying, and looks at Kristina. Kristina is like, not too obvious. Alexis asks if she’s giving Julian notice, and giving up the cocktail shaker.

Julian leaves a message for Kim, saying he’s getting radio silence. He hopes she and Oscar are okay. He asks her to let him know, and not shut him out.

Kim paces. Drew says there’s been no sign, and they’ve looked everywhere Oscar could be. Kim sees the voicemail from Julian, and says every time the phone rings, she jumps and hopes the police found him safe. Drew says, they will. Kim knows she’s not supposed to panic, but can’t help it. Oscar felt blindsided and betrayed, ran off, and it’s her fault.

At school, Josslyn tells Cameron she’s texted Oscar three times, and hasn’t heard from him. She asks if Cameron is sure he didn’t say anything. Cameron says Oscar was just in a weird mood. Josslyn asks, why? and Cameron says, because he’s sick.

On the docks, Oscar looks at his phone messages, and flashes back to Kim telling him that he has cancer. He gets ready to fling the phone into the water, and Jason asks if he’s sure he wants to do that.

Kristina gets that Alexis doesn’t like her working for Julian. Alexis says she has more potential than that, and Kristina says she’s just trying to support herself. She has nothing to do with Alexis and Julian’s messed up history. She says she’s going to clean up the kitchen, and Alexis apologizes, saying she did it again. She didn’t mean to pressure Kristina. Kristina suggests that next time, they discuss Alexis’s life and potential. Sam says, so much for not hovering.

Brad tells Julian that he backed off changing Lucas’s mind. Julian was right; he might get suspicious. Now comes the waiting game. He hopes the search for an answer about Wiley’s medical history doesn’t come back to bite them.

Anna tells Finn that domesticity is a nice change of pace. Finn says he could pick up Roxie, and they’d never have to leave the house. He likes their bubble. Anna does too, but wishes things didn’t feel unfinished. They’re both engaged in and energized by their work, but at home they engage in a different energy. It’s the least complicated part of her life. She lacks a relationship with her son Peter, and it’s hanging over her. She says Finn also has unfinished business. He asks, what, and she says, his father, who flew across the country to seek him out.

Chase joins Kim and Drew. He hasn’t found Oscar, but says the search just started. He asks if they know of a reason Oscar would run away, and Drew says he just needed space. Chase asks, from what? but Drew wants to protect his privacy. Chase says, that won’t help find him. Kim says he was upset. She’d kept something from him, and it was pretty intense. Drew says they don’t have to give the details, but a secret is what got them in this in the first place. When Oscar found out, he felt betrayed, and ran off. Chase asks if he’s sick. Did they lie about an illness?

Josslyn asks what Cameron means about Oscar being sick. He flashes back to his conversation with Oscar, and Oscar asking him not to tell Josslyn about it. Cameron says he probably faked being sick to stay home. She doesn’t know why he’d do that, and Cameron says maybe he’s ashamed about how he acted. Josslyn says Cameron acted worse, but Cameron says maybe Oscar disagrees. Josslyn doesn’t think he’d disagree to the point of ghosting her. Cameron suggests maybe it’s his low blood sugar, but she says he’d text her. And he’d just forgotten to eat when he collapsed; it’s not like something is really wrong with him. Cameron says then he doesn’t know. Josslyn wishes she knew what was going on. He says maybe there’s a reason Oscar isn’t telling her, and she doesn’t want to see it.

Oscar asks if Jason is looking for him, but Jason says he was supervising a coffee shipment, and likes to watch the ferry. It’s reassuring; how it keeps going back and forth forever. He asks if Oscar is all right, and Oscar tells him not to worry; he won’t collapse on him again. At least not today. He says it’s complicated, and wonders if he can ask Jason a personal question. What’s it like to die?

Alexis tells Sam her good intentions went out the window. Sam says Kristina is just getting on her feet. Alexis says she knows Kristina didn’t graduate, but it doesn’t reflect on her intelligence. She’s capable of more than pouring drinks. She needs to make the next step. Sam says that’s not going to happen by Alexis imposing on her and making her go in the direction Alexis wants her to. It’s wrong.

😣 Sorry, there’s a little gap here. HP decided to update suddenly. Never again. I’m a Dell girl all the way from now on.

Chase says he’ll be in touch if there are any developments, and asks Kim and Drew to do the same. Kim says Elizabeth can talk to Cameron. Drew thinks he’s likely just hiding out with friends because he doesn’t trust them. They’ll find him.

Josslyn asks Cameron what it is she doesn’t want to see. Cameron says, it’s a great life if it goes according to plan, but it doesn’t. He tells her people who love each other don’t leave them in the dark. She wonders if he can be more cryptic, and asks what he’s trying to say. Kim calls Josslyn, asking if she’s seen Oscar. Josslyn says he wasn’t in first period, and he’s no answering her texts or calls. Josslyn asks if he’s okay, and Kim says she’s just worried. They had a family disagreement, and he left upset. If she hears from him, let her know. Josslyn asks Kim to do the same for her. Josslyn explains to Cameron that Oscar and his mother were in an argument, and she doesn’t know where he is. Cameron says, she’s not the only one. His mom just texted.

Oscar tells Jason that he has a brain tumor. He’s had it for two years, and his mother didn’t tell him. They can’t operate, and chemo would be ineffective. She tried to tell him about an experimental treatment, but he couldn’t listen. He won’t be alive much longer. Jason asks why he’s saying that. Oscar asks if this is where Jason tells him, don’t give up, but Jason says, no. He says Oscar can’t make assumptions. His life is at stake. He needs to accumulate information. He asks if there’s a time-frame; three months or three years is a big difference. Oscar says he doesn’t want to know.

Alexis leaves, and Sam asks Kristina what she was going hiding in the kitchen. Kristina says, eavesdropping. She asks Sam if she’d like her to make dinner tonight, but Sam wants her to go out, have fun and raise hell. Kristina tells her, be careful what you wish for, and Sam gives her a reverse curfew. She’s banned from coming back to the townhouse until midnight or she’ll be grounded. She tells Kristina, have fun, and Kristina says she’ll do her best.

At Charlie’s, Alexis tells Brad that Diane did everything to comb the medical history, and there’s no history of a familial heart condition. Brad asks if they were able to get the father’s history, but she says the father doesn’t know he has a child. Their time together was… fleeting. Brad says she must mean it was a one night stand. So that’s the end of it. There’s no possible way to find out. Brad asks if the birth father can stake a claim on Wiley if he finds out he’s a father.

Anna picks up Finn’s father’s chart. My bad – his name is Gregory, not George. Anna says Finn is more interested than he’s letting on. He says he’s prepping, like he would with any patient he’s consulting on. She says, he’s not just any patient. Finn says he has to maintain a professional objective. If he gets too involved, it could affect his judgement, and compromise the patient’s care. She says that sounds reasonable, and like he’s reading from a manual.  He doesn’t want to show how much he cares.

On the phone, Chase talks to Robert. He says there’s not much report. Oscar’s parents are reaching out to his friends. He tells Robert, understood; consider it done. Julian gets out of the elevator as Chase goes in. Julian sees Kim, and says he needs to talk to her. She says, sorry; it’s not a good time. He asks what’s going on. She ditched him, and didn’t even cancel. She says she’s in the middle of something, and Drew suggests Julian give her space. Julian asks if whatever is going on is about Oscar. Kim says she can’t talk, and he says, can’t or won’t? Drew tells him, back off.

Oscar tells Jason that he’s being stupid. People die every day; it’s no big deal. Jason says, it is. Oscar has no idea what to do next. Jason asks if he’s heard from his parents, and Oscar says they’ve been calling and texting all night. Jason thinks he should let them know he’s okay. Oscar says he’s not okay. His mom knew and didn’t tell him. His dad didn’t know for that long, but didn’t tell him either. Even if he dies tomorrow, it’s his life. They had no right not to tell him.

Finn tells Anna that even if he and his father don’t get along, he still cares about his health. He says he knows about her profession, and he has to be kept in the dark. She calls him a trooper, and he asks if she’d mind returning the favor. He needs to distance himself from the patient the way he was trained. Anna says this patient is his flash and blood, but he says, in the larger scheme, it doesn’t matter. She says competition must be hardwired between fathers and sons. He says, it’s a medical exam, not Oedipus Rex. Anna is like, if you say so.

Alexis tells Brad that the father has thirty-one days from the birth to assert his rights. Brad asks if they’re in the clear, but she says the court reserves the right to look at it on a case by case basis. There’s been no indication of interest though, so he should stop worrying and buying trouble. Just enjoy his son.

Kristina sees a girl handing out postcards, and asks what she’s doing. The girl tells her it’s a free concert, and gives her one. She says it’s one way to get Sam off her back. Alexis approaches her, and says she’s early. Kristina tells her that Julian asked her to cover for him. Alexis asks if she wants to get dinner, but Kristina says she has plans. She asks if Alexis wants to join her, and shows her the postcard.

Josslyn wonders why Cameron’s mother would be asking if he’s seen Oscar. He says she probably knows Oscar’s mother is looking for him. Josslyn says he’s a bad liar. Something else is going on, and it started last night. What were they talking about?

Jason tells Oscar, when he was twenty, he had a fight with his parents, and swore he’d never forgive them. The details don’t matter, but he was sure he was right, and they were wrong. it took years for him to understand what they were up against. There’s nothing worse for a parent than when a kid is sick or hurting. It’s their instinct to protect them. It affects their thinking, and they sometimes do the wrong thing. They love their children so much, they can’t think straight. Oscar asks if Jason thinks he should call his parents. Jason says they’re worried like crazy, and thinks it would help to hear from him. It will help him to help them.

Julian doesn’t want to be in the middle of a squabble. Kim’s phone rings, and she steps away. Drew tells Julian, if he cares about her, he’ll give her space. Julian asks if he’s speaking for Kim, and he says she told him herself. Respect it. Kim says she just heard from Oscar. She and Drew jet, and Julian wonders what’s going on?

Chase arrives at Anna’s house. Finn asks what brings him by; he already has their dad’s file. Chase says he knew Finn would do what it takes, but that’s not why he’s there. He came to see Anna.

Alexis tells Kristina that she wants to go, but can’t. She has a big case tomorrow. She’ll have more fun with the millennials anyway.

Cameron tells Josslyn that Oscar is being super sensitive, even for him. She wonders what he’s not telling her. She gets a text that Oscar called his parents. Cameron says they have to head for history, and asks if everything is okay. Josslyn wishes she knew why Oscar disappeared in the first place.

Julian leaves Kim a voicemail, apologizing. He says he understands why she’s not picking up. He tells her to know he’s know he’s thinking about her, and hopes everything is okay.

Kim and Drew go to the docks. Drew tells Oscar he gave them a scare, and Kim hugs him. She asks if he’s okay, and he says, no, and he never will be. Drew tells him, never say never. It’s far from over. They leave with Oscar, as Jason listens from behind a wall.

There’s a knock on Sam’s door. It’s Jason. He asks if she has a minute.

Tomorrow, Lucy tells Mac it’s just a get together with friends, Franco toasts to a happy ending, and Chase says the WSB has a lead on Obrecht.

The Real Housewives of Dallas

Brandi visits Stephanie. Stephanie has a drink waiting and Brandi says she’s on top of her game. In her interview, Stephanie says she’s having a spa party to counteract the smashing things party. Her bathroom is big, but also cozy. She has a hot tub, a steam room, and a toilet I don’t want to talk about. She’s auditioning male models, but says she really just wants to see men with their shirts off.

As each model comes in, Brandi and Stephanie remark on how cute they are, and tell them to take their shirts off. The last guy comes in with a baby kangaroo wearing a diaper. He has no abs, but a damn cute mascot. Stephanie says the kangaroo is number one. They decide to hire them all.

LeeAnne is getting her makeup done. She’s thinking a pageant look, but the makeup artist says it should be glam. Kameron joins her. She asks if LeeAnne is excited. She’s doing a photo shoot of the dress she’s designed, showing all the ways you can wear it. In her interview, she says, it’s literally an infinite dress. They talk about the smash party, and LeeAnne was shocked about D’Andra going off. Kameron says she didn’t see it coming. In her interview, LeeAnne wonders why D’Andra was so upset over two hundred dollars, when she has five bank accounts. She tells Kameron what she said to Cary was in private. She thought they were building a friendship, and she wanted to solve the problem. In her interview, Kameron says Cary takes whatever side makes her most comfortable. She tells LeeAnne about how Cary said she’d pushed Stephanie to the limit, but thinks Cary is playing both sides. LeeAnne says, when it comes to her, there is no LeeAnne side. She says Cary will probably be at Brandi’s pop-up trunk show. Kameron thinks it would be easier to stay home, but LeeAnne tells her to lead by example, and it’s not what Kameron would want if she was hosting something.

In her interview, Kameron says she and LeeAnne are both visionaries, and have adventurous products. She thinks LeeAnne should keep pursuing her dreams. She’s different, and in the business world, if you’re not different, you won’t survive. This dress is so freaking amazing. I want one desperately.

Brandi sets up her pop-up event. Her assistants hang things. She explains that Brandiland is a clothing line she started a year ago. She says Bryan has been in the marina industry a long time, and she wanted to design resort wear that could be worn in marinas, with pop-up shops around Dallas. She works directly with the manufacturer, and designs her own pieces.

On the way there, Cary and D’Andra are excited. Cary calls Brandi a superwoman. She hasn’t seen the new collection, but says Brandi has cute stuff. She puts a Birkin raincoat on her bag before they get out. It’s standard handbag etiquette. D’Andra wonders if she’s kidding. Nope.

The event starts to get crowded. In her interview, Brandi says she’s including everyone. The minute she excludes anyone, she starts sh*t, and LeeAnne’s money is as good as D’Andra’s two hundred bucks. She says they’re going to be the Brandiland bitches. Kameron is impressed with Brandi’s ability to be a mother of three and have a booming business. She’s juggling perfectly, and Kameron hopes she can do it with Sparkle Dog one day. D’Andra likes anything that covers her ass. Everyone drinks, and tries on clothes. She does have really cute stuff.  The jewelry is beautiful.

Kameron asks Cary how the house is going. Cary says the floor is finished. Kameron asks Cary to sit. She wants to talk about something bothering her. She feels sometimes Cary plays both sides. Cary asks for an example, and Kameron says when they were at Beaver Creek. Kameron was upset, and Cary told her she did nothing wrong; that Stephanie put words in her mouth. The next day, she claimed Kameron pushed Stephanie because of what she’d said. In her interview, Cary says she doesn’t like one more than another. She’s not in third grade. Kameron asks why Cary is pointing at her while she’s talking. She’ll listen, but doesn’t like the pointing. In her interview, Cary says an argument with Kameron is frustrating. She can’t let anything go, and will badger, badger, badger, but no fingers. She asks if Kameron thinks she’s a liar, and Kameron says she never said that. D’Andra is like, oh. Lord. Kameron does some finger pointing, but says she’s pointing lower. She tells Cary, if she was a friend, she’d care. Cary calls Stephanie over, but Kameron says she’s not involved in the problem. She gets up, saying Cary has brought her posse in, when it’s between them. In her interview, Stephanie has no idea what’s going on. Kameron saw her, and got more pissed off. It’s the story of her life. Kameron leaves, and Cary says, she’s nuts.

LeeAnne jokes to D’Andra that the requirement is to give wedding gifts that are at least $500 apiece. D’Andra says she won’t be there. Kameron joins them, saying she can’t handle Cary and Stephanie. D’Andra tells LeeAnne that she was upset, angry, and embarrassed about LeeAnne repeating she only has $200. She cleaned out her account so she wouldn’t shop. She doesn’t want to touch her other money. In her interview, Kameron knows social people don’t want to know anyone who’s financially struggling. They judge. The rich forgive everything, but being poor. D’Andra asks how LeeAnne would like it If she said something about a personal issue. LeeAnne says she wouldn’t like it, and hurting D’Andra broke her heart. She’ll never do it again. She gets teary, and says she’d rather hurt herself. In her interview, D’Andra says, LeeAnne has the wonderful ability to produce crocodile tears. She doesn’t want to talk about what’s really happening in her life with Rich.

Stephanie joins them, and LeeAnne jokes that they’re about to have sex. Kameron says she thought that she and Cary were good enough friends to have a conversation by themselves. Cary feels like they get caught up in who said what. She’s sorry she hurt Kameron’s feelings. Kameron says Cary didn’t protect her from Brandi in Mexico, and we flash back to Brandi chasing Kameron with Sexual Chocolate. She says it hurts her that no one is there for her. In her interview, she says she’s known Cary for eight years, but feels like Cary’s loyalty to them is stronger, and it’s hurtful. Cary promises that if Brandi touches her with a dildo again, she’ll shut it down. She says she did stop Brandi from giving Kameron an inappropriate gift. We see a clip of Brandi saying she wanted to give Kameron a box of Stressticles. Google it.

Cary says it’s fun to support other women’s businesses, and mentions the Stressticles to Brandi. In her interview, Brandi says, wtf? She made the decision herself not to give them to Kameron. Stephanie tells LeeAnne that she’s trying not to get involved. LeeAnne thinks when she’s away from Brandi, she’s different, and they have a better opportunity to know each other. In her interview, Stephanie says her perspective of LeeAnne has been Brandi’s. She admits that when she focuses on Brandi, she doesn’t focus on her other friends. This is the first time she’s had her own perspective of LeeAnne. LeeAnne thinks it’s nice to be given a chance. In her interview, Stephanie says she wants her own perspective of LeeAnne, but Brandi is her best friend, and that’s not changing. The party breaks up. Stephanie is proud of Brandi, but Brandi is saying she’s good, and she’s not looking good.

Stephanie asks Brandi, what’s going on? Brandi says Cary told Kameron that she persuaded Brandi not to give her the Stressticles, but it was her decision, and she’s pissed. Stephanie says, tell her or it will eat her up inside. Brandi wonders how to broach the subject, and starts to cry. In her interview, Stephanie says she’s been worried since the smash party. Brandi isn’t sleeping, and she’s been a cry baby all day. She tells Brandi that she’s trying to do it all, and will crash and burn. She’s trying to be a badass wife, and feels guilty if she asks for help. She forgot how hard the baby stage is. Stephanie remembers being so tired, she wanted to cry along with the baby. Brandi thinks she has to be strong, but it’s okay to ask for help. In her interview, Brandi says she’s so focused on making the adoption go smoothly, she’s been neglecting Bryan and the girls. She starts to cry, and Stephanie tells Brandi she’s amazing.

Stephanie and assistant Trey set up spa day. She’s gotten gifts for everyone, and says if you monogram something, it makes it look more thoughtful, like it’s not last minute. I’ll have to remember that. She’s put out crowns for each of the women, saying she wants to make them feel like horny queens. Okay… Callie-Roo the kangaroo arrives. Stephanie says today is all about love, health, rejuvenation, and a baby kangaroo. Trey dresses the models in togas, and two stand outside with palm frond fans. As the guests come in, another model crowns them. In her interview, Stephanie says she feels like a madam. LeeAnne comes in wearing a shirt that says, I’d rather be with my dog, and I want one. She looks around, and wonders if stripper fireman are showing up. Stephanie gives a tour of the house. Cary freaks over the kangaroo. In her interview, LeeAnne says she’s 100% sure it’s not legal. Maybe not, but it’s absolutely adorable. Cary loves the kangaroo, but thinks the kangaroo guy is creepy, and he’s scaring her with his veneers. Now that she mentions it, they are a little scary.

The masseuses and manicurists are ready. Stephanie puts Brandi and Cary together for manicures, hoping they patch things up. Cary says they have mom nails right now. She asks how Brandi is doing. She says she was upset and in shock about Stressticles thing. She doesn’t want to be used to back up LeeAnne and Kameron seeing her as a bad influence. She was under stress when Cary brought it up, but tried not to show it. It seemed like Cary was using it to make Brandi look bad to Kameron, and herself look good. Cary says she did advise Brandi not to bug Kameron, and felt she needed to defend herself for not having Kameron’s back. She’s sorry Brandi felt it was at her expense. Cary thinks they had a mature conversation, even if it was about fake balls.

Stephanie tells LeeAnne that she hates couples massages. Travis falls asleep and snores. In her interview, Stephanie thinks her friendship with LeeAnne is going up. She’s not the same LeeAnne with knives. LeeAnne asks what happened with Kameron, and Stephanie says she felt like Cary didn’t have her back. LeeAnne says, Cary should be neutral, but will never be. They need to talk it out.

Brandi tells Cary that she doesn’t want Kameron to get validation that she’s a bad influence. She knows LeeAnne pulled Kameron aside to tell her that. We flash back to that, and Kameron saying she hopes D’Andra isn’t influenced by Brandi. Cary accepts Brandi as she is, and thinks they all should be like that. Brandi wonders why LeeAnne’s behavior in the bar was okay, and we flash back to that too. She thinks LeeAnne is in Kameron’s ear. Kameron has no opinion of own, and she wonders if Kameron is thinking her own thoughts. In her interview, Cary says she warned everyone that if they tell her something, she’s going to tell that person. No more secrets. Brandi says, Kameron needs a brain of own, instead of listening to LeeAnne. In her interview, Cary thinks Kameron accepts Brandi, but Brandi judges Kameron.

Kameron tells Cord about the pet expo, and we see clips from it. She says there were so many people coming to her booth, she couldn’t even go to the bathroom. Cord says she had two goals; to get a distributor, or get someone who will license her. She says she found a guy who said he’d make her dream come true. He asks if she got a contract, but she didn’t want to get in trouble, since he wants to look everything over first. He says he wants to make sure she’s not wasting time. She wants to prove she can do it all. She needs to follow up, and see where she stands with the people she had conversations with at the expo. I’m starting to really not like Cord. At least Shane has a sense of humor.

Cord asks why Kameron can’t just be a mom. Kameron wonders why she has to choose. In her interview, she says the Westcott family is known to be conservative. The moms are not modern moms, doing it all. She thinks Cord needs to get over stereotypes, and come into the modern world. She tells him she wants to be a mom and an entrepreneur.

Next time, LeeAnne grills Cary, D’Andra doesn’t want to feel the way she does toward her mother, and D’Andra asks LeeAnne if Rich is faithful; there have been a lot of rumors.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Carly tells Jason it’s been a crazy day. He asks if Josslyn is okay, and she says it’s her first real relationship. Girls agonize over everything, while guys are oblivious. Jason wants to fill her in; Sonny was questioned by the commissioner and the DA. The situation about the body is getting worse.

Brad needs to talk to Julian – now. Julian asks if Brad is okay, but Brad says he’s beyond not okay. Julian tells him, calm down. Brad says after everything they did, Lucas still wants to find Wiley’s birth mother.

Jordan meets Stella at the MetroCourt. Stella ordered a glass of wine for her, but Jordan suggests a bottle. Stella says she could do that; she’s had some real tearjerker cases today. Jordan appreciates Stella making time for her. Stella is curious about what she has to say.

Valentin meets Curtis on the docks. Curtis cheeked both labs, but there are no DNA results yet. He paid for them to be expedited, as Valentin wanted, so it shouldn’t be long before they know if Sasha is Nina’s daughter.

Nina and Charlotte breeze into Charlie’s with a bunch of shopping bags. Charlotte says she has too many new clothes, and Nina says there’s no such thing. She’s a different size now, and it’s the time of year when she has to be prepared for the change of seasons. Charlotte is glad Nina took her shopping. Nina says Charlotte is her favorite person, and she had a fun time doing it. She asks Charlotte if something is wrong, and Charlotte is concerned this is the last time they’ll get to do this.

Kim tells Oscar that his symptoms are going to get exponentially worse. He asks, how much worse? Drew says that’s why they were meeting Terry. She might have a treatment option. Oscar wants to know how much worse; what’s going to happen to him? Is he dying? Kim says she didn’t want him to find out like this. He says she’s scaring him. Answer, yes or no. Is he dying from this? Kim says his cancer could be fatal, and she holds him.

Carly asks Jason if he thinks they’ll find something to tie Mike to the explosion. He says they suspect him, and think he has a motive. He tells her that they identified the body. It’s Vincent Marino, who was Joe Skully’s lawyer. Carly says, and Sonny is connected to Skully. She asks if they have any physical evidence, and he says the bullet that was used was the same as the one used in a hit on one of Skully’s men. They were both from same gun. She asks where the gun is, but he says they don’t know.

Brad tells Julian that Wiley has a heart defect. It might heal on its own, but it’s inherited, and it’s not indicated on the birth mother’s medical history.

Nina asks why Charlotte thinks that. She says they’re getting a divorce; Nina doesn’t love them anymore. Nina says of course she loves Charlotte. It’s a grown up thing between her and Charlotte’s papa. She’s sorry it’s going to affect Charlotte, since she won’t be living there. Charlotte asks why Nina stopped loving her papa.

Valentin tells Curtis to let him know if he finds out anything else. Curtis doesn’t feel good about it. They’re going down deeper and digging more. Nina should know she has a daughter. Valentin says they’ll let her know as soon as they find out. Curtis agrees to wait around until they know if the DNA is a match. If it’s not, he’s out. This is wrong.

Stella asks Jordan if this is phase two of the campaign to win her over. Jordan says phase one went wrong, and Stella says, so she admits there’s a campaign. Jordan says she admits to a sincere desire to make peace. The counseling was Curtis’s idea. It was well intended, but didn’t work out well. Stella says it was a hot mess. Jordan says that’s why she didn’t pursue a follow-up. They both got critical of each other’s lives. Stella says she does have one of her own. Jordan says she knows that, and they both said brutal things. That’s why she asked Stella to meet her; to apologize for her part, and clear the slate of bad feelings and past accusations. They can forge a new relationship starting today. Stella says, in other words, she should forget Jordan is the reason Thomas is dead.

Kim asks Oscar to sit; they need to talk. He shakes his head, and says talking won’t change anything. It won’t make his tumor disappear. Kim knows, and she’s sorry. That’s why she should have been the one to tell him. He asks why she didn’t. She asks who did, and Drew asks how he found out. Oscar says, what does it matter? They’re worried about how he found out, and he’s worried about how long he has to live. Kim says his condition is serious, and they’re exploring treatment. That’s why they met with Terry. She told them about a medical trial. He’s a good candidate, and it’s coming up before the end of the year. She’s going to submit him. Drew says, it’s not fair, but they’re taking it one step at time. They’re here for him, and they’ll figure it out. Oscar guesses it’s good they caught it sooner than later. He asks if it was discovered when Jason brought him in. It’s quiet, and he says his mom said he had hypoglycemia; how long has she known? Kim says, it’s not that simple, and he says, sure it is. Just tell him how long.

Jordan knows that Stella holds her accountable for Thomas’s death, but she wants to lay the past to rest. The only way is to move forward. She wants to do it for Curtis and TJ. One thing she and Stella can agree on is they own their hearts. Stella has to admit Curtis loves Jordan. Jordan asks if Stella can’t set her anger aside, and work to be the family they need. Stella says she just can’t.

Brad tells Julian that Lucas wants Alexis to reach out, and inform the birth mother, asking why they weren’t aware of the possibility. Julian asks if Lucas has contacted Alexis yet, and Brad says he had to wait until Lucas fell asleep to come over. He’s calling first thing in the morning, and it will be over. Julian asks what if Wiley inherited it from the birth father?

Jason explains to Carly how Mike moved the body into the trunk of his car, saw the gun, and got it. Carly says she can’t imagine it. Mike digging up the body of someone his son killed, and his mistake could land Sonny in prison. Jason says that’s exactly why Sonny thinks Mike is having difficulty remembering. It’s not just the Alzheimer’s. When Sonny killed someone, he crossed the line. He chose the business and everything that comes with it. It’s not what Mike wanted, and he blames himself. He’s stuck remembering, but not remembering. Carly tells Jason that Sonny was always the way he is, and not because of Mike. Once he went down that path, he was never going to stop. Jason says that’s the same thing Sonny told Mike. Now a mistake he made at eighteen has come back to destroy him. Mike remembers taking the gun, but not what he did with it. Carly says Mike was smart enough to move it. He must have known better than to put it with the body. Jason says they can’t be certain. Unless Mike remembers. Carly says there’s becoming less of a chance with the Alzheimer’s. She asks if there’s anything else to worry about, and Jason says, yes. Margaux is Vincent Marino’s daughter.

Brad tells Julian that Lucas understands that Wiley will probably grow out of his condition, but he wants more information. It would be a biological miracle for the birth mother to have the same condition. The truth is coming out, and they’re running out of time.

Carly asks if Jason means the DA; her father is the guy in the basement? She hates Sonny already; this will be an all-out war. She asks what they can do, and Jason says, nothing. No speeding, no jaywalking, no fighting in public. Carly says she doesn’t do that – much. Jason says Margaux will use anyone close to Sonny as leverage. Carly thanks him for the heads up. He says she told him it was a crazy day; what happened? She tells him that Brad and Lucas found out Wiley has the same heart condition Michael had when he was a baby. In soap timing, Michael walks in and asks, what about him as a baby?

Valentin asks if Curtis is just stopping the investigation. Curtis thinks Nina should know she has a daughter, and know she’s alive. Valentin asks if he’s just going to quit if the first lead doesn’t pan out. Curtis says he already voiced his concern, but Valentin isn’t listening; he’s out. Valentin says they’ll tell her when they get more information. Curtis says it’s not about that. Valentin wants his marriage back; Curtis gets that. But instead of telling Nina, he wants to orchestrate a reunion, betting Nina will be so grateful, she’ll come running back. He needs to tell her now. Valentin says he’s telling her nothing until they get the DNA results back. Curtis says he’ll go that far, but regardless of the results, Valentin still needs to tell Nina that she had a child who survived. Valentin says she’ll just agonize while they search. It’s crueler than saying nothing. Curtis disagrees. Valentin hears him, and says they’ll reassess their agreement when the DNA test comes back. He values Curtis’s work. Curtis says he’s doing it for Nina, and no other reason. Valentin says, the same goes for him.

Nina explains to Charlotte that she and Charlotte’s papa just can’t agree on some things. So instead of fighting, and being mad and sad, they decided not be married. Charlotte asks if Nina doesn’t miss him, and Nina says she misses Charlotte. She changes the subject, telling Charlotte that she has a knack of putting the right outfit together. Charlotte says she likes trying things on when they’re at home; when it’s quiet with just them. She wises Nina and her papa had a baby. She’d love to have a little brother or sister. Nina wishes she had some apple pie, and goes to order it. She hears Brad telling Julian that they can stop this before he and Lucas lose their son.

Kim tells Oscar that she’s known for two years. He says she knew before they moved, and didn’t tell him he was sick. She covered it up, and never said one word. Kim asks him to let her explain, but he tells her nothing she can say will change that he has cancer. She never told him. He starts moving to the door, and Kim asks him not to leave. Drew says he has every right to be upset, but calm down, and let his mother explain. She says she wanted to protect him, and let him live a happy, normal life. He says maybe she was trying to protect herself. She couldn’t face the truth, and kept it from him. Drew says, she did what she thought was right. Oscar says he hates what she’s done. He hates her. Of course Drew is going to take her side. How long has he known? Drew says he learned about it after Oscar was admitted to the hospital. His mom said they’d tell him after his birthday. Oscar says, happy birthday to me. Kim says she convinced Drew to wait. Oscar says tell him everything. He wants to know now.

Michael brings in some cookies for Mike, and asks Carly, what about him as a baby? She says, it’s the strangest thing. Wiley has the same heart condition that he did. He doesn’t need an operation, but what are the odds? Michael says there are two hundred thousand cases a year.

Brad suggests Julian convince the birth mother to say she had a heart condition as a child. It corrected itself, and she forgot until they brought it up. They have to plan now, so when the lawyers ask questions, their secret will be safe.

Stella tells Jordan that she’s prayed about it. She tried to meet Jordan halfway, but when she looks at Jordan, she thinks of Thomas smiling on their wedding day, trusting her, and the gaping hole it left in their lives. On her deathbed, Stella’s sister was grieving. Jordan asked her to put it in the past, and start fresh. She has to be honest; she can’t do it. Jordan says, then she’s a hypocrite. She’s a social worker. She helps people who are struggling, people who are broken, and she won’t even try to fix her own family. Stella says she keeps her professional and personal life separate. That’s why she doesn’t burst into tears every time she has a case that’s heartbreaking. She’ll make sure to schedule work the day of the wedding. She thinks they both agree it’s best she doesn’t attend. It will hurt Curtis if she doesn’t show, but they don’t want her there. Jordan says not if she sits there disapproving. Stella says Jordan can tell herself whatever she wants, but she set the events in motion. She’s the cause of why Thomas and his mother are no longer in this world. She gets up and heads for the elevator, but Curtis has arrived. He asks, what’s going on? Stella says she can’t keep lying to him, or herself. She doesn’t think it’s appropriate for her to attend their wedding. He wants to talk about it, but she says there’s nothing left to talk about. She’s sorry, but she has to leave before she causes a scene. She jets, and he asks Jordan, what happened?

Oscar asks Kim if that’s why they moved, to be close to a good hospital?  She says they came because she did an ancestry search, and saw he had family in the area. She wanted him to get to know them, and for them to know him. She never thought they’d find his father. Drew says getting to know Oscar has been one of the greatest gifts of his life. Oscar says, the gift is about to expire. He should buy a ticket to Mt. Kilimanjaro before it’s too late.

Charlotte likes Nina’s necklace, and asks where other half is. Nina doesn’t know; she’s trying to find out. They split their desserts, and Valentin comes in.

Curtis asks what went down; they both seem steamed. Jordan says her relationship with Stella was barely on life support, and it’s the same song, second verse. They started off okay, but she brought up the wedding, and Stella said she can’t come. She just laid it out there, saying Thomas and his mom are dead because Jordan set it in motion. Stella can’t get past it. She’s sorry she asked him to join them. She thought it would be a reconciliation, not a train wreck. He’s proud of her effort. It means the world to him, even if it didn’t pan out. Jordan says Stella made it clear she wouldn’t change her mind, but will he? Stella won’t be at the wedding, but what about holidays and family celebrations. Can he live with Stella shunning them for the rest of her life?

Julian tells Brad, it will only make things worse. He should push his luck, lying about the medical history. It’s bad enough that Wiley’s health has been called into question, but the birth mother’s baby died, and she has no idea. Brad says he’ just desperate; trying to keep his family together. Clearly, Julian is not going to help. He has to try and talk Lucas out of calling the lawyers. Julian says, like hell he will.

Michael says Kim was clear that Jonah didn’t die from a heart condition. He’s glad they caught Wiley’s. Carly says, Brad and Lucas are relieved. She can’t imagine an infant having heart surgery, Michael is like, um… and she says she was unconscious. Jason made the decision. The first of many. Jason says it was difficult, but he took the option with the best odds of saving Michael’s life. That was the easy part. The hard part was the actual thought of surgery on a tiny baby. It scared him worse than anything he’d ever faced. He made it, and Jason thanked God he didn’t need to second guess himself. Carly says when she woke up, he told her, and she was overwhelmed. She knew she had to get out of Port Charles, and took off. She knew Michael would be safe with Jason, and Jason would take care of him. Jason flashes back to when Michael was a baby, telling him that he gives his word, and nothing will break it. Jason says he promised God he’d look after Michael, and always protect him. Michael says he’s lucky to have Jason, but Jason says he’s the lucky one.

Kim tells Oscar she’s a doctor. She knows the quality of life is harsh for patients in treatment, and she didn’t want to start that. Oscar says it must be bad if she’s that worried. She says she had a plan, but he doesn’t care. Her good intentions failed; she betrayed him. Drew did too whether it was weeks or years, he was being kept in the dark. It was cruel for them to make him think he had a future, when he’s on borrowed time. College is a joke. I guess he has a point here. Instead of filling out applications and touring campuses, he could have been climbing mountains. Kim tells him, don’t give up hope. Oscar says he’ll hang onto that. He can’t trust either of them. He starts to leave, Kim tries to keep him there, and they struggle.

Valentin sits with Nina and Charlotte, and asks if they’re having late night sweets. Charlotte says she’ll be right back, and Valentin thanks Nina for taking her. Nina thanks him for letting her, and Valentin says she’s a central part of Charlotte’s life. He hopes it stays that way; no matter what. He says he understands, and Nina wishes he did. Charlotte comes back, and thanks Nina. Nina thanks her for the incredible time. Nina leaves, and Valentin tells Charlotte, what a coincidence. He didn’t have dessert.  Nina watches them through the window.

Curtis says he loves Jordan. That’s never going to change. It’s awful that Stella won’t be at the wedding, but she can still change her mind. A lot can happen between now and then. Jordan says he still believes in miracles, and Curtis says Jordan said she would marry him. They kiss. I miss original Jordan, but I’m warming up to this one. Hey, Curtis likes her, and I’m no Stella.

Carly says Jason and Michael are going to make her cry. Michael is surprised there was no indication that Wiley was a risk. Jason says maybe the birth mother didn’t know. Maybe the condition came from the birth father.

Brad can’t believe Julian won’t help. Julian says he is. Brad hasn’t heard a Plan B, and Julian says, there is; do nothing. How is he going to explain fighting Lucas? Under normal circumstances, wouldn’t he want the full history. Brad says, these are not normal circumstances. Julian tells him, go home, and do nothing. Meddling will only raise suspicion.

Oscar pushes Kim away. He says he can’t look at her right now. He leaves, and Drew tells her, let him go. He has to process everything, and needs time. She asks what do they do? and he holds her while she cries.

Oscar gets in the elevator. The doors close, and he bangs on the wall. He yells, no, no, no! sinks to the floor, and cries. He says, I’m dying.

Tomorrow, Anna says Finn is more interested in his father than he’s letting on, Josslyn asks Cameron what he’s trying to say, and Oscar talks to Jason.

Kudos to Garren Stitt (Oscar) for some fine acting!

☁ I didn’t want to break the mood, but now I have to add that Oscar was wearing the coolest shirt. A sky blue short-sleeve button down with clouds on it. I just can’t help noticing the fashions. True story. One time I bought a sweater from the unfortunately named Nasty Gal. I say unfortunately, because my mailman must wonder wth I’m buying, since the name is all over the box. Anyway, I hadn’t even worn it yet, and saw Britt wearing it on GH. I thought, great. Now if I wear it, someone will think I bought it because I saw it on the show.

👻 An October Treat…

I am so thrilled that Channel Zero is back. This time subtitled The Dream Door. It looks good too. A hidden door in a basement? Can’t beat that for scary. Until you see what’s behind it. As usual, there’s a relationship subplot. This show is so underrated, I’m glad it’s finally getting some press. One sucky change though; it will be on every night for a week, instead of airing like a normal weekly series, as in the past. Thank God for On Demand. Here are three sites showing the trailer:

👎 T-Ravolting…

Well, T-Rav finally landed in jail. I’m not sure if this is a disappointment or a coup for Bravo, but it looks like Kathryn will have a clear path to full custody.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Sam tells Jason that she knows things are difficult between him and Drew, but if he can find a way to make peace, try. Brothers should help each other. He says they should, but he can’t. She knows that better than anyone.

Drew tells Kim that he’d like for them both to tell Oscar about his prognosis, but If he has to, he’ll do it on his own. Kim says she had a plan, and doesn’t know what to do now. Drew say they both want what’s best for their son, and what’s best is to let him know he has cancer. He deserves to hear it from the both of them.

Carly sees Franco at the school. He tells her that he’s there to pick up Cameron, and make sure Cameron and Josslyn don’t boost anything. Carly gets all hyper and calls Elizabeth a hypocrite. She’s judging Carly’s daughter, while giving Franco a free pass. He says he got Carly out of Ferncliff, and thought that gave him a pass with her.

Oscar tells Cameron that he doesn’t have cancer. There’s nothing wrong with him.

Jordan asks Sonny if the name Vincent Marino means anything to him, and he asks if he wasn’t a shortstop for the New York Yankees. She asks if they weren’t personally acquainted, and he says the name means nothing to him. Margaux says the name means something to her. Vincent Marino was her father. Sonny says he’s sorry for her loss, and Jordan asks if Margaux would like to take a break. Margaux thinks some context might be helpful. Her father vanished when she was two. Now she knows why. Maybe they should look at his employer. He worked for the same man Sonny did; a Brooklyn mobster by the name of Joe Skully.

Jason tells Sam that Drew can’t stand him. The only thing he can do for Drew is keep his distance. Sam says they have too many people in common. Jason says, including her. He know what he sees, and Drew can barely stand being in the same room with him. Sam says that was true in the past. Drew was focused on her and the divorce, but things are different now. He’s dealing with something bigger. Jason asks if she can’t tell him, and she says, no. He asks if it affects her, and she says, not directly. He wonders if anyone else he loves is in danger, but she says it’s not an enemy he can fight or a threat he can eliminate. The only thing he can do is be present, even for Drew.

Kim tells Drew that Oscar won’t be just a kid anymore, his life stretched out with endless time. Drew says they have to give him reality, but she says he’s too young to be thinking about the end of his life. Drew agrees. It’s obscene that he won’t make it to adulthood. It’s not right that he won’t get to do what he’s dreamed of, but they’re past the point of keeping it secret, and past the point where it’s even okay to do that. Terry comes in, and Kim introduces them. Terry says there’s no easy way to say it, but they have a decision to make about Oscar.

Oscar asks why Cameron thinks he has cancer. Cameron says he was just in the hospital; he collapsed. Oscar says he has hypoglycemia, and forgot to eat. Cameron also heard Franco leaving a message for Drew that he was sorry about Oscar. Franco went upstairs, and forgot to close his laptop. He was researching children’s brain tumors. Oscar says, so he jumped to that conclusion? Franco works at the hospital. Maybe he was doing research on one of his patients. Cameron asks if he’s sure he’s not sick. Oscar is sorry to break it to him, but he’s not conveniently dropping dead so Cameron can have Josslyn.

Carly tells Franco that Elizabeth assumes Josslyn is the bad influence, not the other way around. Maybe Cameron isn’t crazy about his mom’s latest boyfriend. Elizabeth has a high opinion of herself. As long as he’s worshiping her and meeting her standards, he’s her man. When he eventually falls from grace, he’ll be out. Maybe Cameron is sick of his mom’s revolving door of boyfriends, and he’s pushing back.

Margaux asks if Sonny denies working for Skully. Sonny says Skully owned a nightclub, and he was the assistant manager. Margaux says her father was his defense attorney. Does his name ring a bell now? Skully was getting reckless, brutal, and out of control. Her father wanted out, but early retirement’s not an option in that line of work. Maybe he knew too much. The building his body was found in was owned by Charlie Delaney, Charlie was friends with Sonny’s father, and Sonny worked for Skully. See how it connects?

Sam tells Jason, what matters is being present; showing up for everyone, especially Monica. If it means being in the same house or same room as Drew, he needs to find a way to deal. Be tolerant and patient. Jason says it’s uncomfortable, and Sam says as many times as he’s been shot, he can deal with discomfort. He can see it’s important to her, and she asks if he’ll try. He says he’ll do his best, and she hugs him. When she leaves, he puzzles it over.

Mike comes downstairs, and asks if Jason knows where Sonny is. Jason says he’s in a meeting away from the house. Can he help? Mike says, something is wrong. He knows he made a mistake. He doesn’t know what, but he’s afraid he’s hurt his son.

Sonny tells Margaux that Skully had a lot of employees, and his father has a lot of friends. All she’s got is a coincidence. She says she has more than that. Ballistics matched the bullet to another one that was used in shooting Anthony Russo. The bullets were both from the same gun, and they both have ties to Skully. Like Sonny does. Sonny asks if he’s being arrested. If not, he’s leaving. Jordan says he can go, but he’s a person of interest; don’t leave town. Margaux says Sonny loves his father, and will do whatever it takes to protect him because he loves him. She loves hers too, and will do whatever it takes to get justice for him. Sonny leaves, and Margaux says Sonny was looking right through her, like her father’s life counted for nothing. Jordan says they ID’d the body more than an hour ago. Why didn’t Margaux disclose he was her father?

Franco tells Carly that he was hoping they could coexist. She says they can coexist fine, just make sure Elizabeth cooperates. Carly knows Elizabeth can’t stand her, and has never missed a chance to disrespect her, but she’s a big girl; she can handle it. Josslyn is a child, and if Elizabeth hurts Josslyn’s feelings once, she’ll flatten her, and he can tell Elizabeth she said so.

Carly asks Josslyn how it’s going, and Josslyn says, almost too good; they got so many donations. She can get a ride if Carly doesn’t want to wait. Carly says she wants to stay and help.

Cameron tells Oscar that it’s deeply uncool to wish anyone dead. It just seemed to fit everything else. His mom is campaigning for them to be best friends, and seemed more worried about him in the fight than Cameron. There was also Franco’s voicemail and laptop. Oscar thinks he’d know if had a brain tumor. His parents would tell him, wouldn’t they? Cameron says, forget about it. He got it wrong; his specialty. Oscar asks him not to tell Josslyn, and Cameron says, there’s nothing to tell.

Oscar says hi to Carly, but says he has to bail. He just remembered something he has to do. Josslyn asks Cameron whether he has any idea why Oscar left like that.

Terry tells Drew and Kim the tumor is in an area of the brain they can’t reach. Surgery would kill him. Drew asks if there are other options, but Terry says radiation and chemotherapy have proved ineffectual. Drew says there has to be way to help him. Terry says, there may be. There’s a clinical trial coming up involving amino therapy. It’s been effective, but it’s still being explored. Drew asks what the downside is.

Mike asks if Jason is a father, and Jason says he has two sons. Mike asks what he wants for them, and Jason says e wants them to have meaning in their lives, and be happy. Mike asks if he’d want them to do what he does. Jason says, no, and Mike asks if he’d stop them if they tried. Jason doesn’t know; they’re so young. Mike says what if they said they wanted to be like their dad? Jason says he’d give them reasons why it’s a bad idea, and pray they listened. Mike says he tried with his son. He tried to warn him away from Skully, but it did no good. Skully was a big man to him, and he was just the father who walked out a long time ago. There are some mistakes you can’t take back. Sonny returns, and tells them that he was at the police station. They wanted to talk to him about the body Mike hid. He needs Mike to tell him everything he remembers.

Jordan says she knew the name meant something to Margaux, but she had no idea he was her father. Margaux says, saying out loud to Sonny made it real. Her father was murdered. Acknowledging it intellectually isn’t the same as grasping it emotionally. She wonders how it happened that the body was put in a second location. Jordan tells her to let the investigators do their job, and see what else turns up. Margaux says it was his birthday the other day. She doesn’t know what to do. Jordan suggests she take care of herself, and get whatever help she needs to deal with it. She asks if Margaux has someone she can call, but Margaux says she doesn’t need counselling. She needs to nail the SOB who killed her father.

On the phone at the bar, Curtis asks when he can expect the results. It would mean a great deal to him if they could be expedited. Sam sits next to him, and asks if it’s about Nina. He says there are still no results. He knows it’s a long-shot, but he knows what it means to Nina if he can find her daughter. Sam asks if he’s too close, and wants her to take over, but he says he has no trouble remaining objective. Sam says, lucky him, and he asks if somebody is having trouble remaining emotionally detached. She says she promised someone she wouldn’t talk about it, and he asks if by someone, she means Drew. He’s been off lately, and his mind is only half on the conversation. Whatever is weighing him down, Curtis wants to help. She wishes she had a suggestion.

Cameran tells Josslyn he has no idea why Oscar left. Josslyn asks if he’s sure, and Cameron says Oscar told him something about a hike he wants to take her on. Franco comes in, and Cameron says he has to go. He tells Josslyn not to tell Oscar he blew his secret. He thanks Franco for picking him up. They leave, and Josslyn apologizes to Carly; clearly it’s going to take longer than she thought. Carly says she’s happy to help. Josslyn says, while she’s at it, maybe she can explain boys.

Terry says some of the children doing the trial didn’t survive, and Drew says, it could kill him. Terry says, or it could shrink the tumor. Drew says their only option is to bet Oscar’s life on the unknown, and Kim says, he’s terminal. While the treatment is risky, if it works… Drew says it could buy him more time. Terry thinks Oscar is a good candidate. The doctors running the trial will make the final determination before the end of the year, but she can begin the application process. They can change their minds any time, but it’s a detailed screening process. If they want the option, she has to get started on the paperwork. Kim thinks should try, and Drew agrees. Oscar flies in, and asks if it’s true. Does he have cancer?

Sonny asks Mike to tell him everything he remembers after following him to Croton. Mike says he saw Sonny bury the body. Jason asks if anyone was with him, but he says he was alone. He dug it up, and hauled it out to the trunk of his car. He went back, and saw the gun was still there. He got it, and filled in the hole. He stopped about twenty miles outside of town, and called Charlie, who owed him a favor. He knew Charlie was expanding his club, and found out he was about to pour the foundation. By that afternoon, it was under three feet of concrete. He thought helping; he didn’t know he was making it worse. Sonny asks what he did with the gun.

Sam tells Curtis her best advice is to be a friend to Drew. Be there if he wants to talk. If he doesn’t, don’t push it. Curtis confirms Drew has something on his mind she can’t discuss. He says she doesn’t have to answer, but they’re business partners, and what she does affects the bottom line. What’s the deal with her and Jason?

Back home, Cameron tells Franco that he has homework. Franco was hoping they could talk. Cameron says his mom’s not there. If Franco wants to say they hugged it out, he’ll play along, and not tell her anything different. Franco says he knows Cameron is a good son and brother, but he dropped the ball with the princess pencils. Cameron says Aiden loves Princess Calenda of Everwood, and he even watches the show with him, but he doesn’t want Aiden bringing that stuff to school. He’s not an unfeeling jerk. He’s trying to protect his brother. Franco says as the man of the family, that’s his job. It’s only a matter of time before he’s gone. Cameron says at least he admits it.

Josslyn asks Carly why she thinks Oscar left like that. She’s going to text him, but Carly suggests she doesn’t. Nothing drives anyone away like holding on too tight.

Oscar says the meeting is about him. Terry says she’ll be in touch, and tries to jet, but Oscar asks if she’s an oncologist. She thinks his mother should answer his questions, and gets the hell out of there. Oscar tells them to stop pretending and say it. Kim tells Oscar that he has cancer. She holds him, and he cries, she cries, and I almost want to cry.

Carly says if Josslyn isn’t carful, Oscar could feel smothered, and feel like she’s not letting him be himself. Josslyn says she’s not like other girls. Carly agrees, and says she knows it feels deeper, but it’s new for her. She can give Josslyn advice she had to learn the hard way. Josslyn decides not to text. Oscar might think she’s overreacting. She asks Carly how can you tell if you’re in love?

Franco says Cameron is wrong; he’s not going anywhere. He knows he has to prove it, but in the meantime, it would be great if Cameron would try. If he wants to take it further and have s real conversation, he’s available. Keep in mind that one day, he’ll be fine, and the next, he’ll be asking meaningful questions about his existence. Cameron wonders why he would.

Oscar asks if this is real, and Kim says she wanted to shield him for as long as possible. He says it explains the headaches, and asks if the cancer is in his brain. Kim tells him yes; he has a tumor. Drew explains that they can’t do surgery; it’s too dangerous. Oscar asks if he’ll have to do chemo, and will his hair fall out? Kim says, no, and Oscar says he feels okay most of the time, so it’s not that serious, right?

Sam tells Curtis that she loves their partnership. He’s an awesome PI, and they’re becoming pretty good friends, but she doesn’t intend to discuss that with Curtis. He says his bad; it was intrusive. He asks if she forgives him. He thinks he’s just protecting. She asks if there’s something wrong with him and Jordan. He says the wedding date is set, but not everyone is happy about it. Part of him wants to keep the peace. Sam says not to wait for anyone. None of them know how long they have to love each other. He says it’s good advice. Maybe she should take it herself.

Mike says he told Sonny that Skully was no good, but he wouldn’t listen. If he’d been any kind of father, Sonny wouldn’t have gotten mixed up in the business. Sonny knows he was trying to help, and asks what he did with the gun. Mike says, what gun? What are they talking about? Jason says they’re talking about the body in Croton that he dug up. He saw the gun in the grave. Mike says he doesn’t know anything about a body. He gambles a little, but doesn’t get involved in the rough stuff. His son is mixed up with bad people, but he’ll find his way; he has a good heart. Jason says he’s right. He knows Mike’s son is a good man.

Josslyn says she loves Oscar. They’ve said it, but what if it’s a mistake? How does she know? Carly wishes there was a magic formula. A sure fire way to prove you’re in love. You just have to risk your heart and hope the other person feels the same, and hope it lasts.

Franco says why would Cameron be asking about the meaning of life, when he has more things think about like football? Cameron says he’s not that shallow, and Aiden likes football as much as he likes Princess Calenda. Franco says Aiden loves it because Cameron does. Cameron goes upstairs, and Elizabeth calls. She’s in a bar, and he asks if it’s been that kind of day. She’s with Terry, and Franco asks if Terry said anything about Oscar getting worse. Cameron overhears, and asks if that was his mom. Franco says she’s out for a drink with Terry. Cameron asks what kind of doctor Terry is, and Franco says, a pediatric oncologist.

Kim tells Oscar the tumor is malignant and growing. That’s why he passed out, and the symptoms will get worse. He asks, how much worse? and Drew says that’s why they were talking to Terry. There’s a treatment option. Oscar wants to know what’s going to happen to him. Is he going to die?

Jordan tells Margaux that Mike didn’t work for Skully. What would be the motive? Margaux realizes they’ve been looking backward. They thought Sonny was covering for Mike. What if Mike is covering for Sonny. What if Sonny killed her father?

Jason tells Sonny the nurse has Mike settled down. Sonny says he should never have asked about Croton. It’s not so much that Mike moved the body, but the fact that his son killed somebody. That’s where Sonny crossed the line. His father failed him, but he was angry, and would have chosen it anyway. He still would have taken the gun and killed Marino. It would have bene the same, even if Mike had warned him. Jason asks if Sonny learned anything, and Sonny says Marino was Skully’s lawyer. He was also Margaux’s father. Jason says it makes sense; it’s personal for her. Sonny says she’s not going to stop until she takes him down.

Brad talks to Julian about Wiley, Carly wants to know if there’s anything else to worry about besides the gun, and Oscar asks how long Kim has known he has cancer.

The Real Housewives of Orange County

Kelly accompanies Tamra to the doctor. Tamra is hoping it’s the last time. When the boot comes off, and Eddie is off his medication, they’ll be banging like monkeys. Tamra asks Kelly about meeting with Emily. She thinks Emily is sweet, and Kelly says she just doesn’t like guys who get involved. Tamra agrees. In her interview, Tamra says she’s never seen Emily like that. She tells Kelly she explained to Emily that her problem was with Steve not Shane. We flash back to that. Kelly tells Tamra that Steve dumped Vicki a while back. He moved into his mom’s house and Vicki didn’t tell anyone. When they went to Cabo, she was hysterical. In her interview, Kelly says it’s Vicki’s pattern. They all move into her house. It’s like a revolving door of men. Tamra says Steve has his own house, but Kelly tells her that he sold it.

The doctor tells Tamra that her foot is getting better. She hasn’t been putting any pressure on it, and it’s staying in alignment. He tells her to avoid too much motion. Kelly admires the doctor, and thinks he could be her bench warmer. The doctor says in two weeks, Tamra can transition out of the boot to flat shoes.

Gina takes her rowdy children to a farm with Emily. They go on a wagon tour where they pick their own vegetables. Everyone eats a carrot, and they get in a wagon pulled by a tractor. Strawberries are next, and they pick those themselves. Gina asks Emily what she thought about last night. Emily is waiting for Shannon to come out of her shell. Gina says she apologized for the misunderstanding, but she was just going by what she saw. She says you can’t get mad because someone disagrees. Emily says, nothing wrong with that. People disagree with her all the time, but she’s usually right. Gina isn’t saying Shannon has to be her friend, but she doesn’t know anything. In her interview, Gina says Shannon doesn’t like her. She’s like a polar vortex. Gina doesn’t want to be fighting over petty bullsh*t. She tells Emily that when she talks about Matt, there are a lot of opinions. Emily suggests she can receive and value them, and Gina says, but she can’t let others opinions dictate what she does her kids. They’re happy. She then explains to her son why he can’t pee on the strawberries.

Vicki has set up a wine tasting for herself and Tamra. In her interview, she explains that her friend Domenico cook for her friends. She hopes they can put things behind them, and Italian night is another step in the right direction. She tells Tamra that she and Steve were looking at a house in the desert. They’re happy together, but she’s insecure about being overly loving, since Steve isn’t demonstrative. In her interview, Tamra says she’s getting nervous. Steve seems like the perfect guy, but so did Brooks. Tamra says Kelly told her that he had to move in with his mommy when they broke up. In her interview, Vicki says they took a break. She’s learned what to do and what not to do, and they need to communicate better. Vicki tells Tamra that Kelly better shut her fat ass mouth. Tamra thinks she just wants to make sure Steve doesn’t want Vicki’s money. Vicki thinks Kelly should mind her own business.

They discuss Kelly’s divorce from Michael, and we flash back to Kelly saying she doesn’t trust him. Tamra says clearly, they were having problems. In her interview, Tamra says it was a volatile relationship. Vicki asks about Gina, and Tamra says she’s filed for divorce. Vicki wonders how she’s going to support her children. In her interview, Tamra says everyone is shocked that Gina claims nothing happened to instigate the divorce, but she’s calling bullsh*t. Vicki doesn’t like Gina’s flip attitude toward marriage. She says Gina should learn from their lessons, but Tamra doesn’t think you can learn from someone else’s mistakes. They do some wine tasting.

Gina and Kelly walk and do stairs. In her interview, Gina says there are a lot of weird workouts there. Kelly says stairs kick butt, and asks if Gina is okay. Gina says she’s dealing with a lot. Matt just got the paperwork. We see a clip of her saying the marriage didn’t fail; it’s just ending. Kelly asks if Gina got a lawyer. She says she has one, but they’re doing everything transparent and together. They’re really friends, and there’s no animosity. In her interview, Kelly has no idea what happens behind closed doors, but they don’t fight and they’re best friends; why are they getting a divorce. Gina doesn’t think they had real problems, but him being far away caused them look at the relationship, and they don’t feel the way they should. Kelly says marriages go up and down. She asks if they’ve tried counseling, and Gina says it’s not like they don’t know how to communicate. They married young, and it’s just not what she wants in a partner. It’s not what they want for each other. Kelly says the problem in the OC is that everyone gets divorced. In her interview, Gina feels a connection with Kelly. Kelly asks if they have sex, and Gina says they’re still attracted to each other. Kelly wonders why they’re getting divorced. Gina says her mother has been married forty years, and she doesn’t have thirty-two more years in her.

Domenico arrives at Vicki’s house. They plan a cooking party, and he dances with her. He asks if Steve is jealous, but Vicki says Steve likes him. Don didn’t, because he’s too flirty. Domenico says he’s Italian. What is he supposed to do?

Shane asks Emily if he’s not invited, and she says it’s just the women. Does he really want to go? He says, no, and she says she thought he’d want to avoid conflict with the women. He says a certain woman specifically. Emily says she sat with Kelly, who doesn’t want it to be awkward. Shane suggests the way to avoid that is to not call names. She asks if he wants Kelly to apologize, and Shane says he’s willing to indulge that. In her interview, Emily says she resolved the issue, and she and Kelly are moving forward. She’s nervous to ask for an apology, because Kelly is crazy.

Vicki gives Domenico a list of who he can flirt with. He asks what about her, and she says Steve wouldn’t like that. In her interview, Vicki says she and Steve aren’t married, and her heart pitter patters at Domenico’s accent, but no flirting.

Tamra and Gina arrive first. In her interview, Tamra says she can sense the sexual tension. Vicki and Domenico have a spark. He’s the one Vicki should be dating. Gina shows up next, and Vicki tells Domenico that she has a check mark. Shannon and Kelly round out the group. Gina tells Domenico that she’s from the East Coast, and knows Italian food. He asks if she cooks, and she says she makes a mean Bolognese. In her interview, Tamra says Vicki thinks she can diffuse everything, but sh*t always happens.

Emily talks to Kelly. She says they worked it out, but asks if she can says she’s sorry to Shane. Kelly says, totally, and Emily tells her that Shane is a good guy. He’s witty and dry, but that’s how Kelly is too. She thinks if they start over, they’ll get along. Kelly says it’s her fault, but if he’s Mormon, he should accept her apology. Emily says it means world to her. In her interview, Kelly says when she’s attacked, she feels the need to win, and doesn’t think before she speaks. She probably needs to work on that. Tamra thinks that Vicki has a weird relationship with Domenico, and that they slept together. They chop tomatoes, and in her interview, Tamra says she doesn’t think Emily should have sharp tools. She did threaten to kill someone. Vicki doesn’t know what they’re doing. The only thing learns these girls don’t know how to cook

Tamra tells Kelly that Vicki is pissed because Kelly said Steve lived with his mommy. Telephone, telegram, tell Tamra. As Kelly is talking about Steve, Vicki approaches. She tells Kelly that Steve lived with his mom, not his mommy. Like this makes a difference. In her interview, Vicki says that Kelly thinks Steve is getting in the way of her and Vicki’s friendship, but it’s Kelly getting in the way. If Kelly wants drama, she needs to go somewhere else.

The table is set outside for dinner. Vicki wants a nice night, and wants them to get through their differences. Vicki thinks Gina doesn’t know what she’s up against with a divorce. Gina says she’s not in pain. Vicki is bothered by how nonchalant Gina is. Gina says it’s a modern dynamic family structure, and Shannon says it doesn’t make sense. Like this is any of their business. Vicki tells Gina that they’ve all been through divorces, and it’s not pretty. Gina says she knows who she married, and he’s a good man; they’re just not on the same page. It won’t be painful. In her interview, Gina says they have no idea what she’s gone through. She thinks she knows more. Shannon thinks it’s weird, and Vicki says she’s being flippant. In her interview, Gina says, everybody is different, so shut up. She tells the group that they’re just not great for each other, but she knows who he is. She says it’s not about money. She’d give up the alimony to save the family dynamic, and Matt would pay double to save it. Shannon asks if she’s insinuating it’s all about the money. Gina says not in their situation. Vicki – who is more stuck on respecting the institution of marriage than anything else – tells Gina that she said her vows before God when she got married. Gina says she doesn’t believe in God. Throughout this whole thing, the guitar player serenading them is like, wtf?

Vicki says, Gina doesn’t believe in God? and Gina says she believes in a higher power, a god. She just doesn’t know who it is. Kelly says she always gets what she prays for, and I’d like to know her secret. Prayers are always answered, but sometimes the answer is no. Vicki says that might be what Gina is missing. Omg, I get what Vicki is saying, but this is so the wrong way to say it. And the wrong place. Gina says she believes in herself, and Vicki says maybe that’s why she’s in the place she’s in. In her interview, Vicki says Gina better hope she’s right. If she’s wrong, she’ll pay for eternity. Vicki asks if she has no moral compass in her soul. Gina says that’s ridiculous, and sounds stupid. Vicki says she’s a lot of things, but stupid isn’t one of them. <insert your own comment here> In her interview, Gina says her morals are in check, but not because she’s following a set of rules. She’s just trying to be a good person. Gina says she gets that she’s not datable. She gets up, says something about battling this for her children until she dies, and tells them, back off. She goes to the bathroom. Vicki is still stunned Gina doesn’t believe in God, and Emily says, maybe it’s an act. Vicki thinks somebody is having an affair. Tamra says it’s none of their business.

Gina calls Matt from the bathroom. She needs him to talk to her. She’s upset. They’re mean, and she can’t. Them not being right for each other isn’t good enough. She needs a pep talk. At the table, Tamra remarks on the divorce rate being high in the OC, and Vicki says that’s why Briana moved. Emily leaves to check on Gina. Tamra doesn’t think Gina wants a divorce. The others think she does. In her interview, Tamra says Gina still loves him.

Emily goes in the bathroom. Gina says she’s trying to communicate to women who are unwilling to receive the information she’s giving them. Emily says every person there has lived what she’s going through, and it conjures up emotions. In her interview, Gina understands, and says she can listen to their stories and advice, and thank them for sharing. Emily tells her not to go on the defense. Her truth isn’t theirs. In her interview, Gina says Vicki is annoyed that she’s not rethinking her decision, but she can tell Vicki she is.

Gina comes back to the table. She says she’s not a person to show herself being upset to other people. Vicki says they’re just trying to mother her. They have to respect where she’s coming from, and recognize their situations are different. In her interview, Shannon thinks it’s great that Gina is being positive, and it’s amicable. She’s hopeful, but in reality, it probably won’t turn out amicable. Gina has to be prepared.

Emily says she’s afraid that Kelly and Shane together might cause an explosion; they’re both snarkastic. Kelly brings Jolie along, along with her olive branch, a succulent plant. Jolie goes off to hang out with Emily’s stepdaughter Chanel. Emily says the first time they met, it didn’t go well. She appreciates Kelly coming over, and asks if it’s okay to leave them alone. She does, and Kelly says it feels awkward, but Shane says it’s all good. She says she’s going through a hard divorce, and he says, it’s never easy. Kelly says she’s pretty sensitive, and Vicki and Steve have been talking about her. She has a problem with that, and it had her on the edge. When she saw Steve, she wanted to make things right, and ask why. Shane didn’t speak up until he left. Shane says that’s when they made eye contact, and he thought he should respond. Kelly says, it happened fast. She needs a court reporter to take down what she says. Shane says that might go against her. She says she wondered why he was getting involved, and when he said she was drunk, it pushed her over the edge. She admits she was out of line with her behavior, and her mouth worked without her brain. He suggests if she’s going to confront someone, that she present the evidence, and they can’t blow her off. She says that’s the lawyer in him, and he says it’s common sense. In her interview, Kelly says she has two options; to be nice or become a little bitch again. She’s going to laugh it off. Emily comes back, and Kelly asks what they’re doing today. Shane says talking trash about her when she leaves. Okay. That was funny. Kelly thinks it’d funny too, but Emily doesn’t.

This season, one of Shannon’s daughters wants to get on birth control, Shannon whines about being fat again, a little dog! Boating, a roller coaster, Vicki falls in a creek, Tamra flashes, rich girl problems, Shannon and Tamra going at it, Vicki and Shannon going at it, and Tamra wants Vicki’s side of the story.

🏈 Bravo’s Play by Play is a keeper! It’s no People’s Couch, but definitely Bravo’s answer to AMC’s Talking Dead. Without the recent brouhaha. From the opening, where Jerry O’Connell, Michael Yo, Brandon Schaub, and Dave Holmes offer us different pieces of fruit a la The Real Housewives, I was fascinated. Andy made a guest appearance in the premiere episode, along with a check-in via video chat from Jerry’s wife, Rebecca Romijn. It was all a delightful cup of tea. Bravo, Bravo!

😯 I saw that D’Andra (The Real Housewives of Dallas) was going to be a guest on Watch What Happens Live, along with Tom Arnold. I wondered if she thought, just my luck, or maybe, why me?

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

Fear the Walking Dead

Morgan looks down on the wandering zombies in the parking lot. June asks if Al copies. Jim suggests she’s dead, and June tells him, shut it, Jimbo. Jim wonders what Morgan is waiting for. He got them into this. Wen asks if he can do the honors when Jim becomes a zombie. Jim says, the way it’s looking, he won’t be the only one who needs to get put down. Morgan is sorry, but doesn’t know how they’re getting out. June says, if he doesn’t want to lead, fine, but he can help.

Victor hears Alicia yelling. He and John see her and Charlie across the water. John wonders how the hell they found them. Victor says perhaps he was right; they just needed to believe.

Alicia gets through to June on the radio. She tells June she’s with Charlie, and they just found John and Victor. They’re cut off by the flooding, but they’re going to get them. She asks where they are, but Morgan says he can’t tell her; it’s not safe. He got them stuck, and doesn’t know if there’s a way out. Alicia says she did what he told her to – she tried to be there for someone who needed her. Now they found John and Victor; she’ll find them. She tells him, hang in there. June says they have to find Al first, and Morgan tells her they should do that after they get John and Victor. She wonders how they’re getting down, and Morgan says, maybe the same way they came up.

John says the crocodile is hungry today. He says, they ain’t coming back. They won’t be able to find a way. Victor says his doubts are unfounded. John asks if that’s why Victor isn’t drowning his sorrows, and Victor says he’s saving it for when they get out. John asks what makes him think Alicia and Charlie can help. Victor says he was unable to see the promise of what lies ahead, and John thinks he might have used all that up. The way he looks at life, he put himself on an island before living on the brighter side. Someone helped him see it, and took him off the island. Victor says someone helped him get off the island. Alicia knows what Charlie did; who she took. Now, they’re working together. If that doesn’t make John think anything is possible, he doesn’t know what else will.

Alicia tells Charlie that they need something that will float; like a boat or canoe. They look around.

Martha bleeds onto a map. She puts a paper towel on her bullet wound, as I would do.

Jim looks down, and I say, oh, jump already. He hears me, and stands on the ledge. Morgan tells him to wait. Why, is a mystery. Jim asks if Morgan thinks he’s jumping. Morgan asks what he is doing, and Jim asks if he’s ever seen a meat puppet (a zombie, not a member of the band) walk with broken bones. He’s not dong that until some a-hole pokes something pointy through his skull. He’s pissing on them; it’s the only fun he has. And he does. Jim asks if Morgan is there to make himself feel better about what he did to him. Morgan says they’re going to try and get to Alicia, and find a way out. Jim asks if Morgan is asking him to help. Morgan knows he doesn’t have the right. Jim says he can’t do anything about dying, but can decide how he goes. Wow. That’s one long pee. Sarah joins them, and Morgan tells her, Jim’s not coming.

Sarah says, really, Jimbo? He’s not going hand over his beer recipe? They may never see him again. At least not like this. He tells her, go to hell. She says he’s a Class A a-hole, who fills every room with a philosophical fart, but his beer is poetry in a bottle. That’s him too, and he can live on. Jim considers this, and says she’s right. It’s an exceptional brew that packs a nutritional punch. It’s refreshing, with enough alcohol content to provide a buzz. It can give comfort to a dying man. And she can bring him comfort by turning around and leaving him alone. If she trips and breaks her neck, he’ll call it a bonus. She says it’s been nice knowing him. I’d pretend to trip and freak him out.

As they’re looking at some cars, someone shoots at Alicia and Charlie. It’s Martha, who says they shouldn’t be there. Someone broke her chain, and she’s going to fix it She’s going to make them strong. Alicia says she’s hurt; they can help. Martha says she doesn’t need help. She’s not weak. Martha continues to shoot at them, and Alicia repeats they can help her. Martha tells her that she said she doesn’t need it, and keels over. Alicia goes over to her, still keeping a gun on her.

Morgan and the others sneak around the hospital. June wonders where the zombies are. Morgan taps the ground with his stick, telling them to stay close. They’ll circle back. They head down the hall, and Morgan signals for them to stay back. He looks around the corner. They see zombies under a pile of cement, and continue on. There are dead bodies everywhere, and Sarah says, Al has been busy.

They keep walking. Morgan taps some more, and calls out for Al. Luci looks at a clipboard, and says Al left a message. Sarah takes it, and reads. Al hopes they’re alive. The walkie died, but she doesn’t now if they did. She’s taking the freight elevator. If they find out she’s dead, get her tapes and make copies. And if they find that c-word, they need to be settling her sh*t. Sarah says, she didn’t use c-word; she used the full quesadilla. Wen says with the power out, the elevator won’t be running long.

John dresses his wound, saying it’s going to get infected in the muck. Victor says, maybe not. John asks if Victor hears that, and they see the Al’s van, driving right through the water. Victor takes a swig from his bottle, and John does the same. Alicia says they were looking for a boat, and found this instead. Charlie gives John his hat, and he asks if she’s talking now. Victor asks if they’re okay Alicia nods, and says, him? John asks who their fellow passenger might be. It’s Martha.

Morgan says the hallway doubles back; they should go. Outside, they’re still surrounded. Even if they get down, can’t get away – unless he creates a distraction. He got them into this, and has to get them out. He can do something to draw the zombies away from the front. June says he doesn’t have to, but Morgan says he does, and she has to let him. June asks if he’s getting out, and he says they have to go.

The others leave. Morgan drags a body out onto the roof. Jim asks if he got the others killed too. Morgan says they have work to do.

On the radio, John says it’s safe to talk. June asks if he’s okay, and he says he opened up his side a little, but he’s good now. He tells her that he had a Black Jack for her, but he ate it. She tells him that they’re at the hospital, and he says they’re headed that way. She suggests the meet on the outskirts of town. The city is filled with the dead. They can’t miss each other again.

They see a crowd of zombies lining the fence outside. Sarah tells Momo, they’re going to need a distraction. He copies. He wants them to go back inside. He just needs a minute.

Martha comes to with her hands tied. She asks what they did, and John says they’re pretty cordial considering what she did to them. Alicia says she wanted to leave Martha, and Martha says she should have. Charlie says she would have died, but Martha says she wouldn’t have been weak. Alicia says she remembers that Morgan said he’d help her. She should be thanking them. She laughs, and says, they’ll see.

Morgan asks Jim for a hand, and Jim applauds. Just kidding. Jim says Morgan has given him a good reason not to. He sits, and Morgan hangs the body over the edge of the roof. He swings it to get momentum, and then heaves it out and down. It hits the roof of a car, and the alarm goes off. The zombies gravitate to it. Morgan gets on the radio, and says, come on. He doesn’t know how long it will last.

June tells Morgan, get going. Jim too. They’ll wait. The group heads for an ambulance. Morgan says, the power is out, the elevator isn’t working, and the stairs are flooded with walkers. June says, anyone could have made that call, but Morgan says he has things to make up for. If he knows he got them out, and she’s on her way back to John, maybe he can make up for something. The group gets in the ambulance, and pulls out.

Jim tells Morgan that he’s off the hook, at least with them. He gets it. Whatever you have to make up for, it’s hard. Even if works out, he won’t know if what he’s done makes up for it. Does he think Jim being up there is the easy way out? Take it from a Class A a-hole, death is a certainty; getting out from sh*t you’ve done, not so much.

Jim asks Morgan to do him a favor before he… Would he… Morgan nods. June asks if Morgan copies, and asks what’s gong on. He says he’s getting Jim off the roof; he’s not leaving Jim behind. The car alarm is dead. They’ll have to keep going; he’ll find own way out.

John says he just stitched up a woman who tried to kill everyone he cares about. Anything is possible. Alicia says Morgan told her that if she was in the position to help, she should do it. So that’s what she’s doing.

Sarah tells Morgan that they’re all there. June says he’s wrong. No matter what he thinks, they need him. Jim tells Morgan he’s not going to get off as east as he thought. Morgan tells them not to do this, but Victor says, it’s too late. They already are.

A long truck with a hydraulic crane is outside the hospital. Morgan asks where they got it, and Sarah says, the engine is dead, but the generator for the hydraulics purrs like kitten. Martha says, this isn’t going to end well; leave now. Luci grabs an ax, and they hook the truck to the van with a chain. The ladder goes up, but Morgan says, it’s shy by a couple of stories. John asks if he can make it down to that level. Morgan gets a cable, wrapping one end around something to anchor it to the roof, and the other end around himself. He says, let’s go, and Jim sits. Morgan says he can’t leave him up there. Jim says Morgan can’t do anything for him, and tells him to go. Morgan is real sorry, and Jim says he should be, but don’t give himself a reason to be sorry for them too.

Morgan climbs down the side of the building. A zombie pops out of a terrace door, and he and Morgan struggle. The zombie pushes Morgan against the ledge, but crack shot John nails him.

On the ground, June, Luci and Alicia dispatch zombies. Morgan asks how it looks, and June says they’re drawing a crowd. They don’t have much time. In a phenomenal leap, Morgan launches himself into the cherry picker. I say, holy sh*t! He nods to Jim. John tells them all to come back, and they get on top of the truck bed. Zombies clamor at Charlie and Wen in the cab, and start to surround the truck.

Victor says, it’s one hella predicament. Sarah asks Wen if they’re all right, and he says they’re still kicking. Morgan say they need to clear a path; draw them away. He tells them to go to the van; he’s getting them out of here. On the radio, Jim says he’s got this. He can choose how he goes out, and he thinks this beats pissing in the wind. He asks if Sarah is there, and asks if she can remember something. His recipe. She says, sh*t on a stick.

Jim stands on the ledge, and gives her the recipe. She writes it down, and he tells her to hold the radio close to her ear. It’s the most important part, and no one else can know. We don’t know either, since only Sarah hears it. He says, there’s love in there too, if she can believe it, but that’s it. Everyone smiles sadly. Sarah copies that. Jim closes his eyes, and jumps. He goes through the roof of a car, and the zombies move toward it. Morgan says they should get out of there.

Uh-oh. Martha is gone. Charlie says she’s hurt; they have to look for her. Sarah says there’s no time, and Alicia says she doesn’t want their help.

It’s quiet in the van. Luci asks what they’re going to call the beer when they brew it. She says it was called Augie’s Ale, but Sarah says they’re not calling it that chicken sh*t name that the marketing company told him to give it. The name has to mean something. They decide on Jimbo’s Beerbos. Morgan says, Jim would hate that, and Sarah says she knows.

June asks where they’re going, and Victor says, out of the city. Alicia says the hurricane took out pretty much everything. Morgan says he told Jim about Virginia, where he was heading. Jim isn’t making it, but he thinks they can. He says, let’s find out, then make our way there together.

Martha draws on Jim’s face. Bitch. Jim opens his eyes, and makes zombie noises. She puts a spiky-ended pole through him, and says he’s strong now. She says, you’re strong. Now let’s go make him strong too.

Next time, the finale; Martha is going to be stronger than ever, Al is alive, Morgan can’t loose any of them, and Morgan has writing on his face even though he’s not dead.

😳 My apologizes to Jerry O’Connell – who I’m so sure reads this – since I’ve been calling him Charlie O’Connell in referring to his new show, Bravo Play by Play (which premieres tomorrow!). Charlie is his brother. who looks a lot like him and also played his brother on Sliders, which is probably what caused the confusion in my head. But while we’re on the subject, Sliders would be a great show to bring back in syndication.

📺 Brief Observations from This Week’s TV Watching…

I don’t know if Dateline: Secrets Uncovered is the best place to advertise e-Harmony.

Gleaned from watching 90 Day Fiancé – no matter how much or how little of the English language someone knows, everyone has WTF? down, as well as the eff word in general.

And from watching Hoarding: Buried Alive, the two most common reactions upon seeing a hoard for the first time are, oh sh*t! and oh my God!

I finally saw The Shape of Water. The merdude was cute, in a Groot sort of way. It reminded me of how I was in love with Pepe Le Pew when I was five. I also wondered if the guy from Boardwalk Empire is just doomed to play skeevy psychopaths.

👢 Maybe She Could Give Him a Leg Up…

They had to let Aviva go. Once you throw your leg on the table, there’s just no way to top yourself.

❓ What Did Darcey Do?

On tonight’s 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days, Jesse was returning to the US to put the final nail in the relationship coffin. He hinted at something abominable that Darcey had done that was some sort of deal breaker. The closest I could come to finding anything was this, but I’m not quite satisfied.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Cameron flashes back to overhearing Franco tells Drew he’s sorry about Oscar. Oscar and Josslyn are sorting some clothes for charity, and Josslyn tells Oscar they can do something later. Cameron says Oscar may not have a later.

Drew visits Franco. He tells Franco, judging from his message, Elizabeth must have told him about Oscar. Franco offers Drew a drink and a hug; like, a super manly hug. Drew thinks he’ll just take the booze.

Elizabeth and Kim talk about Oscar and Cameron’s fight. Kim says the boys have gotten the same assignment, sorting clothing. Elizabeth says they’ve made up, so what could go wrong?

Sam is at the bar, and Margaux sits next to her. Sam asks if it’s been a long day, and Margaux says, it’s getting longer. A DA’s job is never done.

Chase gives Jordan a file, saying they’ve confirmed the ID on the body. She wonders why he’s still at work, and asks if he isn’t having dinner with his brother and Anna.

At the MetroCourt, Finn suggests he and Anna go somewhere else. She says they’re waiting for his brother. Finn says he’s late; maybe he had to go on a call. Anna says he’ll be there.

Jason tells Sonny that they can get ahead of the investigation. Is he sure he doesn’t know anything else? Sonny says he was green. Skully gave him a name, and he took care of it. He didn’t ask questions. It doesn’t matter, since the one thing that connects the body to him is the gun.

Josslyn asks what Cameron is talking about. He says if Oscar’s mom reports the fight, they could both get suspended. He says Oscar just landed a lucky shot, and Oscar says, so much for the apology. Cameron thought they were cool. Oscar says they are; except Cameron kissed his girlfriend.

Elizabeth doesn’t think Cameron will be messing with Oscar again, and Kim asks if she told Cameron that Oscar is sick. Elizabeth says, absolutely not. But she did tell someone else.

Franco gives Drew a beer. He says Elizabeth must be hiding the booze from Cameron. He wishes he could give Drew better advice. He tells Drew they don’t have to talk. Drew feels like saying it out loud draws it closer. He just recently found he has a son, and now he’s being taken away.

Anna says if Finn is getting worked up about it, why did he invite Chase to dinner? He explains they did half-cups of coffee, and were working toward a full cup. Chase got excited, and said, what about dinner? Now it’s turned into a two-hour meal. Anna says she’ll make three if he doesn’t knock it off. He asks for a side of awkward pauses. He tells Anna relating to others isn’t his strong suit, and Anna says he’s charming when he wants to be. Chase is a good person. Finn says Chase likes him too much. He treats Finn like a hero; it’s uncomfortable. Chase reminds him of someone, and he’ll leave it there. Finn’s father walks in.

Jordan tells Chase he’s going to be late for dinner, but he says it’s a breaking case. She says it’s over thirty years old, and this is hardly a smoking gun. She was under the impression that he wanted face time with his brother. Chase says Finn has shot him down so many times, he feels like this is his last shot and might go straight to hell. Jordan says it will if he doesn’t show up. She’s going to get to know the victim, Vincent Marino.

Jason tells Sonny that he’ll call Spinelli to see what he can find out. They can figure out what the ties are to Skully. Sonny is worried about his dad, and Jason says he had nothing to do with the death. Sonny says he moved the body. If they can prove Mike was involved, he’ll go to Pentonville. Jason says Mike is sick, but Sonny says it didn’t stop them before when he took Avery. It’s not just the guilty who go to prison.

Sam tells Margaux that she has kids, and tries to limit her work time. Margaux says her father owns Charlie’s Pub, and Sam says father is a funny word. It’s not how she describes him. Margaux says her sister Kristina works there now, like Sam doesn’t know, and Sam says, so? Margaux says there’s not much love lost between Sonny and Julian. She has a lot of questions for all of them, including Sam’s ex. She means Jason, not Drew.

Finn asks his father what happened to Berkeley? His father says Berkeley isn’t a cage; they let him out. Finn introduces him to Anna, who he tells to call him George. He hopes she allows him to disabuse (a new word for me!) what Finn has said about him. She says, so far, he’s charming. Finn says they’re waiting for someone, and asks if George set it up. Chase arrives.

Sam tells Margaux, everyone wants to talk to Jason; take a number. Sam asks if she has something against him, and Margaux says she has something against anyone with a career in organized crime. Margaux wonders why he’s not more like his twin. Drew knows how to make a positive contribution to the world. Sam tells her to leave Kristina alone, and if she has something to ask Jason, ask it herself.

Sam leaves, and Margaux’s phone rings. Jordan tells her to get her dinner to go. She has something Margaux will want to see.

Sonny tells Jason that the only way they’d have a case against him or his father, is if the find the gun.  Jason thinks if Mike was covering-up, he wouldn’t leave the gun with the body. Sonny needs confirmation. Maybe they can circumvent any evidence to connect them. Not just him. The thought of his father doing down breaks his heart.

Josslyn says, Cameron apologized, they said it’s over, so it’s over. They’re supposed to be doing this for charity. Cameron decides to work on the other side of the room, and Josslyn asks Oscar if it’s her, or is Cameron acting weird? Oscar says weird is normal for Cameron, but he does seem off.

Kim can’t believe Elizabeth told Franco. Elizabeth says it wasn’t her intention, and Oscar won’t find out from them; she promises. Kim says Elizabeth promised to keep her confidence. Elizabeth said she told Kim she wouldn’t volunteer the information, but she wouldn’t lie. Franco knew something was going on. She couldn’t keep it from the man she loves and trusts. She tells Kim that she can trust Franco. Kim says she has no other choice.

Franco asks Drew if there’s nothing the doctors can do. Drew says he’s still getting up to speed. They’re meeting with Terry tonight, so there might be hope. Franco asks how he can help, and Drew says, listening is good. It helps him organize his thoughts about what to do next about Oscar. He doesn’t know he’s sick. Kim has her reasons for not telling him. She mostly doesn’t want his time left to be clouded. He agreed not tell Oscar until after his birthday, but he thinks it’s not fair to delay it. He doesn’t know if he has the right to intervene; he hasn’t even been in Oscar’s life for a year. Franco says, what difference does that make? He loves his kid, and his kid loves him. Drew asks how he tells his kid that he might be dying?

Chase asks George if their mom came, but he says she couldn’t make it. George congratulates Chase on his detective job. He was hoping to see Chase in action, and asks if there’s any chance for a ride along. Finn says Chase shouldn’t have ambushed him, but Chase says he had no idea their father was coming. George says he meant to surprise both of them. He’s staying there, and came down for something to eat, and saw Finn and Anna. Anna says its not unheard of for a father to visit his son. George says it’s not entirely a social visit.

Jordan tells Margaux that they have an ID on the victim, and he’s connected to Skully, who’s connected to the gangland shooting. Margaux asks what else she knows. Jordan says not all the records have been digitized, but the victim was Skully’s criminal defense lawyer, Vincent Marino. She asks if the name rings a bell.

Sam goes to Sonny’s house. Jason asks if she’s looking for him, and she says it involves them both. She ran into the DA, and she made it clear she’s gunning for them.

Drew asks what Franco thinks he should do. Franco says Drew asking for his advice is a first. He tells Drew they have the unique perspective of ignorance. The understand the benefits of not knowing. Wouldn’t Drew’s life be better if he didn’t know about Jason? Franco says if he didn’t know about Harvey and what he put him through, he’d be skipping through life with no cares. Drew says even when he didn’t know he wasn’t skipping. Franco says sometimes the truth sucks. He can let Kim tell Oscar in her own time, but he’s Oscar’s dad. If Drew was in Oscar’s position, would he want to know the truth?

Kim tells Elizabeth, until few days ago, no one knew. Now the number is growing. How long until the wrong person says the wrong thing? Elizabeth says the alternative is that she and Drew tell him, and Kim says they’re going to after his birthday. She knows what she’s doing; it’s worked so far. Elizabeth says, more people knowing can make it easier. She doesn’t have to carry it by herself. She has friends to share it with – if she’ll let them.

Oscar picks up a box, and Cameron says he’ll take it; Oscar was just in the hospital. Oscar says he can do it, and Cameron says he’s just trying to help. He drops the box, and Oscar says thanks for the help. Cameron calls him a jerk, and before it can escalate, Josslyn asks Oscar to pick up a box outside. Josslyn asks Cameron if everything is okay at home. He asks what she means, and she wonders if he’s in more trouble for the shoplifting than he told her, or is there new family drama? He says, everything is fine, and she tells him that he’s acting weird. Cameron insists he isn’t; Oscar is. Josslyn says he isn’t, and Cameron asks, why Oscar is lying to her then?

Franco asks Drew if he wasn’t Oscar, what would he do? Drew says skydive; grab Oscar and Scout and see the world. He’d fill every moment with family, and make things right with Sam, but they’re not talking about him. Franco says, what kind of a list would Oscar make? Drew says, Oscar wants to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro. When Kim told him, she pointed out he’s just a kid, and it might send him into a spiral’ it’s overwhelming. Franco says the kid is half Drew’s, and he’s never let anything overwhelm him.

Kim thanks Elizabeth for reaching out. She asks Elizabeth to keep Oscar’s illness a secret, so he can live a little longer, having a normal life. Elizabeth says when he realizes Kim has been keeping it from him, he’s going to feel betrayed. Kim says it’s a small price to pay for Oscar to enjoy life instead of sitting in a cancer ward. She made a decision to prioritize his quality, rather than quantity, of life. She’d make the same decision again in a heartbeat.

Josslyn tells Cameron If anyone lied, it was her. She didn’t tell Oscar about the shoplifting, and pushed him away. He’s kind and supportive, and a good person. Cameron says he must have missed Oscar’s halo. Josslyn says he’s not perfect. He overreacted to the stupid kiss, and it wasn’t right to pick a fight, but she’s gotten worse cuts skiing. Why can’t it be over? Cameron says it is for him; Oscar keeps bringing it up. Josslyn asks if it’s payback, and what is Oscar lying about anyway. Cameron says the fight was one sided; it was a sucker punch.

Sam tells Jason and Sonny that Margaux was using Jason’s case file as bait. Margaux was playing her, and wanted her to know. She has her eyes on Sonny, and the people connected to him. She asks if it has anything to do with the explosion at Charlie’s. What actually happened? She doesn’t need details; she trusts them, but they need to watch their backs. Margaux isn’t fooling around. If anything happens, they won’t be the only ones paying the price.

Jordan asks if Margaux has heard of him, and Margaux says they should review what they know. The body was revealed after the explosion in a pub owed by Julian. Julian didn’t live in Port Charles then, and Charlie Delaney previously owned it, at the time of the approximate date of Vincent’s death. Charlie associated with Frank Smith, and Skully mentored Sonny.

George says he’s had a fever, rash, and aches, but it’s nothing to worry about. Anna says, it’s not nothing. It’s easy to ignore symptoms, but they’re an indication something is wrong. He says his wife agrees, and made him promise to seek out the best infectious disease specialist in the country – and here he is, looking at him. Finn doesn’t think he can treat his father due to ethical issues. George says there’s nothing illegal about it, and Finn says, unethical. They’re history could color his treatment. Chase asks if he’s going to nick an artery or overdose their father. Are things so bad he might make a mistake? Finn says, no, and Chase says there’s no good reason to deny him care then. Is Finn going to help their father or not?

Oscar comes back, and asks Josslyn if everything is okay. She says she thinks Cameron is just in a bad mood. Maybe it’s something with his family. She leaves to ask a question about the clothing, and Oscar approaches Cameron. He says Josslyn is his girlfriend, and Cameron’s friend. Can they try to get along, or at least pretend to? Cameron says he doesn’t get along with liars. Unless Oscar plans to come clean to Josslyn, it’s a hard pass.

Drew goes to Kim’s office. She tells him that he’s early, and he says he thought they could. Talk. She gives him a file Terry sent over about a cancer drug trial that ended last year drug. It was promising, but turned out to be a failure. Terry wants them to be realistic. Drew says he needs something from her.

Jordan says Mike’s sheet is peppered with little cons here and there, and Margaux says he had a gambling problem. Maybe he took a loan from Skully. Maybe Skully didn’t want payback in cash, and provided a weapon. Mike knew Charlie, and knew he could hide the body. Jordan wonders why Skully would use someone outside the family, and Margaux says, someone not connected could never give up names; he cold trust Mike. Jordan says they can make up stories, but it doesn’t bring them any closer to the truth. Besides, Mike has Alzheimer’s. Margaux says he took pains to remind them. Jordan says it’s not a good look for the commissioner to undercut the DA, and Jordan says it’s not a good look for the DA to take advantage of an infirm old man. His illness is documented, and any statement would be inadmissible. Margaux says if they don’t get it from him, they’ll get it from someone else.

Sonny tells Sam that he knows the DA is clear about coming after him. His phone rings, and he says it’s a blocked number; guess who? Jordan tells him that he’s on speaker. She and the DA have questions. Can he come down to the station? He says it’s late in the day, and she says they can come to him. Does he think it will disturb his father? He says he’ll be there shortly and ends the call. Jason says Diane is out of town, but Sonny says she’s just going on a fishing expedition; he doesn’t need a lawyer. Jason offers to come along, and Sonny tells him to hold down the fort. He knows better than to give anything up.

George apologizes to Finn, saying he meant the conversation to be private. He didn’t mean to guilt Finn into helping. Chase says he’ll help. He took an oath as a doctor, and their mom wants him to do it. Anna thinks it might be a good idea to revisit the subject tomorrow, in Finn’s office. Finn gives George him number, and tells him to call and they’ll make arrangements. George thanks him, and Finn says, think nothing of it.

Sam asks if Jason can do something for her, and Jason says, of course. She wants him to make plans with Danny; spend as much time as he can with him. Jason says he does, but he can squeeze in more. He asks if she wants to talk about it, but Sam says, no. He tells her that Charlie’s Pub isn’t on him, and nothing can take him away from Danny. She says he doesn’t know that; no one does. In an instant, it all changes. She asks for one more favor, if he can. She knows he and Drew have their differences, but if there’s a way for them to make peace, try. He asks what she’s trying to tell him.

Drew tells Kim he won’t hide the truth, and she says he agreed. He says he made a mistake. She tells him it’s not that long, just until his birthday. He says, it’s Oscar’s life. He should decide how he lives it. He’s like for them to tell him together, but if he has to, he’ll do it alone.

Oscar asks Cameron why he’s why being an ass. Cameron says Oscar’s an ass; he’s being unfair. Oscar doesn’t know what Cameron is talking about, and wonders if he’s up to a new strategy to come between him and Josslyn. Cameron asks why Oscar doesn’t just tell her he has cancer.

Jordan tells Sonny to sit, and he says, that long. Margaux says it depends. Jordan says the ID for the remains is Vincent Marino. Sonny pretends to consider this, and says he thinks the guy used to play shortstop for the New York Yankees. The name means nothing. Margaux says it means something to her. He was her father.

Well that was a one-two punch.

On Monday, Oscar asks Cameron not to tell, Margaux wants to nail the SOB who killed her father, and Sonny asks Mike to tell him everything he remembers.

🙌 FINALLY. Z Nation returns on October 5th. In less exciting news, The Real Housewives of New Jersey is back on November 7th.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Stella arrives at Sonny’s place, and Sonny introduces Jason. Sonny asks if they had a meeting, but Mike comes in, saying he doesn’t have a lock on the pretty lady. She’s there to see him. They go out to the terrace, and Jason says Mike is having a good day. Sonny says it’s easy to forget bad ones, and asks where they were. Jason says they were discussing Julian, and Sonny says he’s more in control over the situation than they are.

Ava comes back to Charlie’s. She tells Julian that it’s not enough Kiki betrayed her, but she slept with Griff, the man she’d bared her soul to. Julian says he’s no fan of the fallen father, but maybe Kiki is telling the truth. Ava says, they accidentally slept together? and Julian says Ava has been accident prone on a few occasions. Ava asks if he thinks she’s overreacting to a complete betrayal, and he asks if a one-night stand is worth trashing her relationship with Kiki.

Kiki gives Griff a beer, saying at least her fridge works. Griff says he doesn’t even know if his does. He just opened a few boxes before he realized it’s 110 degrees. She says, welcome to the neighborhood.

At the hospital. Michael helps Maxie with James. She thanks him for rescuing a stressed mom. He says it’s his day for babies. He spent the morning with his cousin Wiley.

Lucas paces. Carly tells him to breathe. Whatever is going on, they’ll handle it. Brad comes flying in, and Monica joins them. Carly asks if she’s the specialist. Monica says she is, and Carly says she’s the chief-of-staff. Monica tells Carly she’s also a cardiologist, and was called for a consultation. Lucas asks what’s wrong with their baby’s heart?

Maxie tells Michael it’s refreshing to use both hands. She says Michael has the touch, but she’s not surprised. Growing up, he was everybody’s big brother. She saw him in birthing class, and knows he’ll be a great dad.

Monica says, no need to panic. There are preliminary markers that might point to a heart defect. Carly asks how serious, and Brad wonders how non-serious a heart condition could be. Monica says they won’t know until they do an electrocardiogram. Brad freaks, and Carly says the sooner they do it, the more information they’ll have. Brad says sooner is now; what do they do?

Ava asks Julian if she’s supposed to forgive and forget. He says Kiki forgave her for sleeping with Morgan. She tells him not to bring up her sordid details, and she won’t bring up any of his. He asks if she has any reason to believe Kiki and Griff slept together more than once. She says, no, and he asks how many times she slept with Morgan. She says she came to him for help, and this is the opposite of helping her. He says no matter what Kiki’s betrayal was, she’s stood by Ava. When Ava was in the hospital, where was Kiki? Ava says, by her side. Julian says she stayed with her mother when her mother betrayed her in ways far worse. He’d give anything if his kids would talk to him for more than five minutes. He tells her that he’s there for her, and Ava admits he has a point. It’s her daughter they’re talking about. She refuses to lose her over the likes of Griffin Monroe.

On the phone, Kiki tells someone that it’s so hot she could grow orchids, and the new tenant is having the same problem. She puts some ice cubes in a bowl on the table, saying it’s not air conditioning, but it’s the best she can do. She could go for an air conditioned theater, a bucket popcorn, and a movie. She asks what his favorite movie is, and he says he’s never been one for movies; he never had time. She says he must have seen some of the classics on TV, like The Wizard of Oz, Singing in the Rain or Casablanca. He says he’s seen most of The Ten Commandments. She says, most of? and he tells her he fell asleep before the parting of the Red Sea. She says that’s the best part. The key is to get your nap in beforehand. He asks what her favorite is, and I miss the title, but it’s a French film involving a card game. She says it was her mother’s attempt at culture. She tells him the Port Charles International Film Festival will be there, and they’re going. She’s going to show him a whole new world.

Sonny trusts Jason’s instincts. He was thinking about sending Max over to Charlie’s with the check, but thinks Jason should take it. The house phone rings, and Sonny says, send her up. He tells Jason that Jordan is paying a visit. Jason asks if he should stay, but Sonny tells him to take the check over, and tell Julian to shut his mouth when it comes to Sonny’s father and the explosion.

Sonny tells Jordan that he had the feeling he was going to see her. Jason leaves, and she says she has a few more questions about the body. Sonny thought he answered all of them, but she says that was before they got the ballistics results.

On the terrace, Stella tells Mike it’s beautiful and peaceful. Mike says he does his best thinking there. He’s looked over the brochures from her suggestions, and she asks if he has any thoughts or questions. He says he wrote them down. She asks if he’s talked with Sonny and Carly. He says he tried; he’s losing time, more and more. Stella says she’s sorry. She can’t imagine how difficult it is. Mike says he’s decided he wants to move. He wants to go where his family will be protected from what’s happening to him.

Carly tells Brad, it’s the worst part of being a parent; the uncertainty. He’ll get tons of practice, but it doesn’t get any easier. Brad asks if he’s supposed to man up and get through it. She says he has until Lucas gets back to sob, scream, and cry. When he’s alone, he can be weak and vulnerable. He says, Wiley is special, and Carly says not just for him, but for the whole family. They needed a miracle. Brad says, he has to be fine, and Carly says before he knows it, Wiley will be back in his dad’s arms.

Maxie tells Michael that James is quite the charmer. Most of the time, he looks like a cute version of Churchill or the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. But when he smiles, it’s like she’s looking at Nathan again.

Griff tells Kiki that she doesn’t have to do this. She says if he’s suspended, he has the time, and she can change her work schedule. After the dust settles, she’s going to be shadowing Finn. Griff says, he’s quirky, but brilliant. She says Griff and Finn are living proof that David is the exception, not the rule. Griff says he’s sorry, and she says he doesn’t need to apologize again.

Jordan tells Sonny that DA was direct, and she saw the approach was difficult for Mike. That’s why she came alone. Ballistics found the gun was used in a gangland shooting in Brooklyn before the murder, and Mike was living there at that time.

Jason goes to Charlie’s, and gives Julian the check. Julian says Sonny could have sent anyone, but sent him. If he’s reading the signals right, the check isn’t the only message. Jason says he doesn’t know Julian well, but Julian put a knife to his Alexis’s throat. Julian says he was saving her from a psychopath. It was theater, but he couldn’t say that until it was too late. Jason says Sam doesn’t buy his story. That’s why she doesn’t want him to be around her or the kids. He’s there because Julian showed up at Sonny’s and threatened Mike.

Mike tells Stella that his son loves him too much to send him away; it’s complicated. She says he can tell her anything. He says he worries that he’s already told her, and he’ll get boring. She says he might be many things, but boring will never be one of them. He says he’s ashamed of how he abandoned Sonny, when Sonny was just a boy. He abandoned Sonny and his mother, and his mistake has haunted him ever since. He knew it was wrong. Now he knows it’s wrong to stay. He needs her to help him do right by his son before there’s not enough left in him to do it. He needs her to help Sonny let him go.

Maxie tells Michael that she and Nina tell each other all the time that James looks like Nathan, but they’re biased. What does he think? Michael agrees, and Maxie says when she’s at her most neurotic, James looks at her, and she has both her guys back. Michael says holding James makes him feel better. Maxie tells him that Nina thinks babies have healing properties; they’re magic. Michael asks James if he’s magic.

Carly tells Brad if he doesn’t have the strength to pull it together, fake it. Fall to pieces at night, after he turns on the monitor. There are no right answers; just a series of well-intended mistakes. Lucas will be back soon, so if he needs to kick something – not her – or scream in a pillow, now’s the time. Brad says it’s the only thing he wanted to give Lucas – the family he wanted. Carly says he’s done that, and Brad guesses he has.

Kiki tells Griff that he apologizes too much, and he says, sorry. He’s kidding. She says he and her mom were constantly apologizing to each other. She does an imitation of Griff and Ava, which is pretty accurate, and Griff laughs, saying she nailed it. She wants him to promise to stop apologizing for being a good person. He says he’s not fighting with the person picking the movies. There’s a knock at the door. No surprise, it’s Ava. Ava says Kiki is her daughter; her baby girl, and hugs her. She says they both got carried away and said terrible things they didn’t mean. Ava loves her so much. She sees Griff, and says she thought he’d suffer in solitude.

Griff says it’s not what she thinks. Kiki says the radiators are going crazy, and Ava admits it seems warm. Kiki says they don’t owe her an explanation, and Ava says it paints a cozy picture. Her beautiful daughter wearing next to nothing, spending the afternoon with Griff. Griff says he rented the studio apartment. He’s out of work, and what he can afford. She says it’s nice of her daughter to help him land on his feet. Griff asks, what’s more disappointing? That her daughter has his company, or he’s not lying in the gutter?

Monica says Wiley has a small abnormality in a major vessel. It’s a structural problem that can be fixed by surgery or medication, or it could go away by itself. Carly says, that’s the same condition Michael had as a baby.

Stella tells Mike If Sonny isn’t ready, there’s a daytime option. Mike says, that might work, but he gets worse in the evening. He doesn’t really know, since he doesn’t remember. He’d hate to think of them just seeing the worst of him. He says Sonny might like it, but also give Sonny the brochures on the ones he wants to visit. He invites her to stay for lunch, and she says she can’t resist him and lunch. He appreciates that she understands what he wants to do, and helping to be his voice, She says she’s honored to be his friend, but he says the honor is his. He wants her to promise that when he can no longer remember her, that she’ll remember how much he wanted to. He takes her hand, and we all get weepy.

Julian finds the amount acceptable, and asks Jason why he’s there. Jason says to make sure Julian keeps the agreement. Julian says he spent some hard time in prison, and ended up in the infirmary more than once. Another time would be it for him, but thanks to Alexis, he got released. When he got out, he lost his taste for the business; the life he was raised on. It was the first time he made the decision. It’s ironic how you can lose your taste for winning, when you don’t want to risk what’s in your life. Jason asks why Julian is telling him. Julian knows Jason is assessing if he’s a threat.

Sonny tells Jordan that his father is no saint, but he’s not a killer. Jordan says they’ve cross-checked the people involved, and his name came up more than once. Sonny says it’s circumstantial evidence of a murder that happened thirty years ago. She can’t blame someone who doesn’t even remember what happened yesterday. She says she has sympathy, but she also has a body and a hungry DA. The walls are closing in.

Mike and Stella go inside, and Mike asks if everything is all right. Sonny says he remembers Jordan, and introduces Stella, who says they’re well acquainted. She’s engaged to Stella’s nephew. Mike says, so she’s the one. Jordan says that’s what Curtis tells her. Stella tells Mike they’ll talk soon. He sees her to the door, and thanks her. She asks if he needs her to stay, and he says whatever this is, he doesn’t think it has to do with him. What happened to lunch? You’d think they’d at least mention it.

Mike says Stella is one fine lady, and asks what brings her there? What trouble is Sonny in this time? Or is it him? He has nothing to hide. Sonny says Jordan doesn’t need anything from him; isn’t that right?

Ava says she never wanted Griff in the gutter. Griff says, but she did. She knew he’d suffer if she talked to Monica and the monsignor. Did she think she could scorch things around him and he wouldn’t burn? Ava says she can dream. Kiki says she only believes in forgiveness when it comes to herself. Ava says Kiki never asked for forgiveness. She clearly doesn’t regret what she did, and can’t wait to do it again. Griff tries to step in, and Ava asks if he’s rescuing Kiki again. Griff tells Ava that the darkness runs so deep, there’s nothing that can make her whole again. Kiki tells her, get out, and closes the door.

Monica tells Carly, it’s the same condition; AJ had it as well. Carly says Michael needed surgery; so did AJ. Monica says, Wiley doesn’t. He’ll need periodic exams, but she thinks it will go away. Lucas wonders why they didn’t know. Carly is concerned that the birth mother kept it a secret. Lucas asks, what else don’t they know about their son?

Maxie tells Michael feel free not to answer, but is James too much for him. Michael says, the opposite. James makes him feel closer to Jonah. Maxie gets it. She knows he’s grieving for Jonah, but he’s also dealing with his grandfather. He says holding James makes him miss who Jonah would have turned out to be.

Julian tells Jason that he doesn’t have to worry about him tangling with Sonny. He has more important things to do with his life. They’re done. Jason starts to leave, and Julian says, one more thing. There’s no love lost between him and Drew, but he does respect him. He loved Sam enough to get out of the business. Does Jason love her enough to pull her back in? Jason says, what Sam does is up to Sam.

Ava goes back to Charlie’s and tells Julian, it turns out he’s wrong. Families can’t just rise above anything. Her daughter is no longer her daughter, and the feeling is mutual. Kiki has made that clear, and it’s fine. Kiki is just another enemy who took something from her, and people who steal from her pay the price. She downs a shot.

Kiki gives Griff another beer, and asks if he’s all right. He says, actually, yes. Her? She’s great; she’s free. He says, but? She says, no buts; she’s just sorry. He says they agreed they’re not the ones who have anything to be sorry for. The super calls, and Kiki says, the radiators are going crazy. Hers and the studio apartment. She tells Griff, the super is on his way, and Griff says he has to go back and wait for him. Which, if it’s anything like real life, should be about three days.

Maxie has to go back to work. Michael asks what she does with James, and Maxie explains that Felicia and Mac babysit, and she has a nanny on the other days. He tells her to let him know if she needs help; he had a had fantastic time. She wants him to know she gets it. You’re not just missing the person you lost, but the life you would have lived with them.

Brad says rushing to the birth mother conspiracy theory is a lot. She gave him to them without a fight. They don’t want her to second guess her decision. Lucas asks what if there are other health issues? Brad says he has access to a lab. Monica has to leave, but tells them to call any time for any reason. Carly says she’s with Lucas on this. They should contact the birth mother. Brad says, it’s against the law, but Lucas says it’s out of medical necessity that they find out who she is. Brad thinks they should just leave her alone. Carly says, if she’s keeping secrets, they need to be brought to light now.

Jordan says Mike has a long checkered past, but he says she’s wasting her time. He has no connection to the body. Jordan’s phone rings, and she says she’ll be right there. She tells Mike and Sonny that forensics has identified the remains. If they’re connected to Mike, they’ll know soon.

Tomorrow, Franco asks Drew if he’d want to know he was dying, Finn’s father visits, Cameron says Oscar might not have a later, and Jordan has something Margaux might want to see.

Shahs of Sunset

MJ, Vida and Tommy meet wedding planner Lenore at The Jeremy. In her interview, MJ says she doesn’t want to fight about minutiae. She wants to be an easy breezy bride. It has to be the way she wants it, but she’s still chill. Vida is concerned about the sun on the terrace, but Tommy tells her science is awesome, and it sets the other way. They discuss sofreh aghd, a table setting with symbols of everything they want to enter into a marriage with. Vida says it’s an old custom belonging to fanatic families, and they’re not fanatic. She thinks it’s too cheesy. In her interview, MJ says Persians have believed this is how to send a couple off in marriage for thousands of years, and she’s having it. I would too. I love this stuff.

Reza meets Mike at a restaurant for dinner. They’re waiting for Adam who just had a mikvah. We see a clip of Adam doing something that looks similar to baptism. In his interview, Reza says Adam knows how he grew up with tension and turmoil because his parents were of different faiths. He wanted himself, Adam, and their future kids all on the same page. He tells Mike that he broke it to Adam about investing in the shampoo business. Mike asks if he really wants a child, and Reza says he wants a family. Adam joins them. Mike asks if his conversion is accepted in the state of Israel, and Reza says they have paperwork. Adam asks if Morgan is a Jew, but Mike says no. Adam wonders if she’s going to convert. In his interview, Mike says his parents loved Jessica, and overlooked two fundamental things they’d wanted for his wife – being Persian and a Jew. When the marriage failed, they pinpointed those things as being why the relationship was doomed. Mike gives them an open invite for all holidays. In his interview, Mike says with being in his new home, and Adam being converted, it’s a great opportunity to host Passover. He asks Adam if he’s getting circumcised, and Adam says, dude, he’s been circumcised. Is Mike really that ignorant?

Destiney meets MJ for drinks. MJ asks for sourdough bread, saying she needs to gain weight for the wedding. She tells Destiney that her dad wanted her to show independence, and her mom thought every man was a cheater. Destiney says she never saw a relationship growing up. Her older sister was born in Iran. They lived in Santa Monica until her middle sister was born, and then her dad went to Iran. He came back long enough to get her mother pregnant, and she didn’t see him until ten years ago. In her interview, she says it wasn’t an emotional or affectionate meeting. She didn’t even ask the questions she wanted to. She was scared, and shut down again. She tells MJ that she’s looking for her father. MJ tells her that his choices and mistakes have nothing to do with her. Destiney says she told him that he wasn’t her father, since a father would never leave his children. He replied by saying she wasn’t his daughter, because a daughter would never speak to a father like that. She excuses herself to cry in the bathroom.

MJ tells her it’s okay. It takes a strong person to be vulnerable. In her interview, MJ says she sees a younger version of herself in Destiney. She has solid armor, and is dedicated to staying protected. You can’t live like that. She tells Destiney that she has the future she wants, but she can’t stay in that lane and have it. She wonders how Destiney can look this fierce and be having this conversation.

GG meets Nema for a photo shoot at what looks like a sports equipment place. In his interview, Nema says he’s never seen her like this. He expected her to come in like a star, but she’s shy and insecure. The tough ego is not always who she is, and it’s endearing. He says he wants her to be the face of her company. She says by the time it takes off, she’s hoping to be pregnant. She needs someone who wants to have a kid, but not a relationship. Nema suggests Shervin, and she can imagine what the baby would look like with her sideburns and Shervin’s chest hair. Nema says the baby would be pure hair. In her interview, GG says she never thought she’d be a boss. She and her sister started a hair extension company, but her sister only wanted her to be the face of it. Her heart wasn’t in it, but her heart is in this. She gets nervous, and Nema kicks everyone out. In his interview, he says he normally doesn’t get involved with the photo shoot, but he wants her to channel Golnessa, and leave GG at the door. Golnessa radiates, and he thinks the world will fall in love with her, and she’ll sell a billion products. Everyone is happy with the photos.

Reza sees therapist John, who looks like a grown up Howdy Doody. He tells John that his best friend’s father just died, and it started him thinking about how he’ll feel when his dad passes. His mom dedicated her life to raising the family, and his dad dedicated his life to doing what he wanted. He wants nothing to do with his father, and wants to be okay with it when he dies. In his interview, he says growing up, he thought of his father as a huge ho. Years went by, and they didn’t talk. We flash back to him telling his father how he felt a few seasons ago. He says, it’s hard to have a relationship with someone who’s not accountable for their sh*t. He tells John that his father has dementia now, and needs the people he abandoned. John asks what he’d want his dad to understand, and Reza says that he was a big disappointment. Until his father can say he effed up and Reza deserved better, there’s not much hope of forgiveness. John says he’s not at the point he’s able to say those words. He asks Reza to imagine himself as a parent. Reza says amazing, hands-on, and proactive. John says he’s spent his life trying not to be his dad. He needs to let that go as motivation, and find a way to be driven by a positive force.  In his interview, Reza doesn’t want to be that person. The person who doesn’t want to do that to their kid, but does it because it’s all they knew. He says he has some cleaning up to do before he becomes a dad.

Destiney prepares lunch. Mom Tammy arrives. In her interview, Destiney says she’s going to look for her father, but her mom went through a lot of pain, and she doesn’t want to hurt her. Tammy asks why she’s sad; whenever Destiney sees her, she starts to cry. In her interview, Destiney says she just wants answers. She can’t give up. This ancestral trauma isn’t helping anyone. She says when her mom is hurt, she gets closed off. Tammy says her own mother had six kids, and her dad died when she was three months old. Reza joins them. In her interview, Destiney says he knows her mom from back then, when his mother was going through the same thing.

Reza asks what Destiney has told her mom so far, and she tells him about Tammy’s dad dying when she was small. Reza tells Tammy that when Destiney talks about her dad, she starts crying. In his interview, Reza says Destiney needs something, so she’s able to turn the faucet on and let it bleed. He asks if Tammy would support Destiney looking for her father. Tammy doesn’t want her to just sit and cry. Reza says she has rage toward him bottled up, and it’s not good. Tammy says her father isn’t a bad man; he has problems. Reza says Destiney is at a fork. If she keeps this bottled up, she’ll never get married, and if she does, she’ll repeat the pattern. Tammy says, the truth is always bitter. Destiney says, it’s the same pattern. Reza tells Tammy that Destiney needs to know she’ll help her, and Tammy says she will. In her interview, Destiney knows it’s now a Persian thing to be afraid of your mother, but her mom gave her a look like, let’s do this.

Tommy and MJ meet Mike and Morgan for drinks and bowling. In his interview, Mike says Morgan is the most mature of all of them. She’s twenty-six pushing forty, and the rest of them are forty pushing fourteen. He teaches Morgan some bowling moves. Tommy gets a split, and so does Mike. MJ is more my speed, getting a gutter ball. My high score is 90. Morgan gets a split, and Tommy says she’s hustling them.

MJ tells Morgan that Mike’s mom is his Achille’s heel. In her interview, MJ doesn’t think his parents are comfortable with the relationship. We see a clip of Morgan saying that Mike keeps their relationship separate from his family, and asking him to make it a priority. Mike tells her that he can’t speed it up. MJ doesn’t think they’re in the same relationship. How can he not introduce her to his mom. It’s so shady. Morgan wants security and to be able to trust him. Mike gripes that Morgan cracked his bowling ball, and she says she thinks that was there already. MJ is glad her boyfriend isn’t a tyrant. That’s her takeaway from tonight.

GG’s parents, Fatima and Mahmoud come by her place for take-out Chinese food. GG gets out a notepad. Fatima tells her she has no experience in running her own company; she can’t believe it. In her interview, GG says her parents are behind her 100%. They’re being good sports compared to normal parents, who might not appreciate their daughter becoming a legal drug dealer. She asks if she needs a bank account. Doesn’t she even read? In her interview, GG says she’d never let her own child be as old as she is and not have a job, but she was different. She was kicked out of ten schools, and arrested at fifteen. Mahmoud tells her to go to a headhunter to get employees, and she asks Alexa where she finds one. She wants to make it work because she believes in it if. If she’d believed in her marriage the same way, it would have been successful. She’s not only the president, she’s a client. And was a client long before it was legal to do so. (I said that last part, not her.)

MJ, who is going blonde for tonight to go with her outfit, and Tommy join the others at a bar. Reza asks if she’s getting excited about the bachelorette party. In his interview, Reza says he’s dreamt of the day he can take MJ to Vegas for her bachelorette weekend. And he was thinking the day would never come. Bottle service with sparklers happens. Reza says, the turn up is real. They’re going to Vegas. Better be ready. They all yell, Vegas! and clink glasses. MJ asks Morgan to come to her bachelorette party. Mike’s parents will be there (I assume not for the actual partying), and she says Morgan can meet them then. In her interview, MJ thinks Mike should introduce her or cut her loose.

Shervin’s Parisian friend, Vahid, joins them, and GG flirts with him like crazy. In his interview, Nema says he feels like the Persian Crocodile Hunter. It’s like watching a lion feasting on a little French deer. You want to see the carnage, but feel bad. She’s using him as bait to make Nema jealous, but she can’t Jedi mind trick him on this. She asks how old Vahid is. He says he’s twenty-five, and GG says she’s not ready to be a cougar.

Reza goes with Destiney to meet the PI. He tells her, knowing is better than the unknown. It’s having a huge negative pull on her. Her shoulders are up around her neck like an English bulldog. She’s a hot mess because of unknowns, and what we assume is ten thousand times worse than the real thing.  PI Monique arrives. Destiney says she hired her because she’s Persian, and also understands the culture. Monique asks when was the last time Destiney saw him, and Destiney says, ten years ago. She doesn’t know how, but her mom found him and brought him there. He spoke seven different languages, and worked in several different countries. She doesn’t’ know much more, but says she went through his luggage and found a bunch of different IDs. She’d wondered if he had another family. Reza asks about siblings, but Destiney says her mother never told her about any. Reza thinks her mom knows everything, and it’s a weird dynamic. The mother thinks she’s protecting the kids, and the kids think their not knowing is protecting their mom. Destiney doesn’t even know how long they were married. In his interview, Reza says Destiney has so much frustration, the only thing to do is cry. He tells her, this is no way to live.

Morgan has a little white dog named Royce. This has nothing to do with anything, except, little dog! Mike and Morgan set the table for Passover. Adam brings in the last four bottles of kosher wine available. Mike says that’s enough for MJ, what are they going to drink? In his interview, Mike says he’s honored he’s hosting Adam’s first high holiday in his home. He says, Morgan isn’t Jewish, so thank God for Google. Mike’s business partner Eddie and his wife Elaine arrive, followed by MJ and Tommy. The table is beautiful – lots of gold and flowers. Prince Fred joins them, heir to the throne in Abu Dhabi. In his interview, Mike says, 137 people would have to die, but technically he’s a prince. He’s not Jewish, but Mike likes having everyone of all or no faith there. They have a common bond – they’re friends.

Mike explains the Passover table. In his interview, Reza says they retell the story of the Exodus, and there’s a lot of waiting before they eat. They get to realize what it was like with their ancient ancestors wandering around in the desert, and what they went through before they got to eat. Everyone duels with scallions. Reza decides a buffet is the best idea, and helps Morgan in the kitchen. He asks MJ if Tommy is coming to Vegas, and she says, ask him. Reza thinks it’s weird, and asks him to please come. Tommy says it’s MJ’s weekend. Reza asks Mike if Morgan is coming, and Mike says if they want her to. In his interview, Reza says, it’s like letting the Israelites free. Let your girlfriend go to Vegas. Mike says it will be a tamer version if she comes. MJ announces dinner is ready, and it looks wonderful. Royce yawns, Morgan tells Mike, every year it will get better. In his interview, Mike says, it’s time for the crew get effed up and be together. He doesn’t want her to come, but he doesn’t want to look like an a-hole. Well, it’s a little late for that. He asks Morgan to come to Vegas.

This season, pools, poles, Vegas, unlimited alcohol, Mike crying, the PI tells Destiney her father is being kept hidden, Asa makes an appearance, GG’s launch party, and MJ’s wedding.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Drew tells Kim that he doesn’t think Sam will tell anyone about Oscar. She feels the same way about Elizabeth; she respects their wishes. Kim asks if they can get through Oscar’s next birthday without him knowing about the tumor, and Drew says, sure. She says he deserves to blow out the candles without worrying. He says, her gift, and she says, their gift.

Elizabeth tells Cameron that she’s not defending Oscar. She just doesn’t want him to make things worse. Oscar was out of line, but Cameron kissed his girlfriend. Oscar punched him, so let that be the end of it. She asks Cameron to be the bigger person. He’s a strong guy; he can can take it. Cameron says Oscar isn’t as fragile as she thinks.

At the MetroCourt, Ryan (as Doc) tells Lucy it’s good to see her. Which is weird, since they must have gone there together. She says he’s usually polite, but this is nice, compared to how it’s been after what she did. He says, it’s water under the bridge. She tells him that she’ll never forgive herself for throwing their marriage away for a fling with Scotty. He asks if she’s drinking from the poison well again, and she says so much for the bridge.

Maxie meets Lulu at the MetroCourt, apologizing for being late. She took the stairs. Lulu says, from the lobby? Maxie doesn’t trust the elevators anymore. The last time she was on one, she got stuck. Lulu asks for how long, and Maxie says, long enough. Although alone would have been better than being stuck with Peter.

A young woman meets Curtis. She says he looks like his picture. He says it’s nice to meet her, and calls her Miss Gilmore. She tells him to call her Sasha. She wonders what the deal is with the mystery meeting. He says it’s about her mother.

Anna asks if Nina has spoken to Valentin, and Nina says that’s why she’s there. Finn woke the beast that is Cassandra. Anna says, there were extenuating circumstances, but yes, she’s awake. Her whereabouts are unknown. Nina says Valentin thinks she’s in danger. Is she?

Julian arrives at Kim’s place, as Drew is leaving. He sees Kim’s face, and asks, what’s wrong?

Sam thinks she and Oscar should hang out; take Scout to the park. He says he’d like that. They could feed the ducks. She says that’s Scout’s favorite thing. He suggests ice cream too, and she says she lied. That’s Scout’s favorite. Oscar says they have a plan

Elizabeth tells Cameron that Oscar was probably feeling insecure. He asks if that makes it okay for Oscar to punch him? Franco is in the other room, and says she’s just asking him to see it from Oscar’s point-of-view. Elizabeth says, it happened, it’s over, let it stay that way. She tells him to apologize to Josslyn. Cameron says he did, and she says, do it again. You can’t kiss someone who doesn’t want you to. He says he’ll call her, but Elizabeth wants him to do it in person. He can get an Uber, and be there in ten minutes.

Maxie tells Lulu, in a way, she feels sorry for Peter. Lulu says a big, strong guy having a panic attack; she can’t picture it. He’s always in control. They agree he might have PTSD. Maxie says he was hyperventilating. He freaked out, and took off his shirt. Lulu is like, what? and says, it must have been intense. Maxie says, his abs have abs. Not that she was paying attention.

Ryan tells Lucy it sneaks up on him every now and again, but it’s in the past. Lucy says now he’s happily married to Laura. Lucy asks how she is, and he says, good. She asks when Laura is coming back, and he says, unfortunately, no time soon. Spencer is having trouble at school after losing a student council election. Lucy says he’s still struggling with his father being murdered. It doesn’t just go away. Ryan says, no it doesn’t. She says she’s sorry. He’s newly married, and his wife is across the ocean. It must be lonely.

Anna asks Nina why Valentin thinks Cassandra is a threat to her. Because of Cassandra’s infatuation with him? Nina says Anna knows what she did to Cassandra. She did it in self-defense. Anna says, it’s a pity she survived. Nina agrees. She says, Cassandra is on the loose. She could turn Nina in, or retaliate.

Sasha tells Curtis that her mom died two years ago. Why is he bringing her up? He explains he’s a PI, and was contacted for a client, and good friend, to possibly find her daughter.

Anna tells Nina, given how sick Cassandra was the last time she saw her, she thinks Nina is safe. For now. There’s no promise for the future. Nina says Valentin thinks she needs a bodyguard. Anna says the last thing he wants is to lose her, but Nina says she’s already lost to him.

Curtis tells Sasha that his client gave birth while she was in a coma. The baby was taken and given to a woman who adopted her. He’s following leads using records from an attorney who was involved, and there’s a possibility it could be her. Sasha says she’s not adopted.

Elizabeth asks Franco if she messed that up, and he says she handled it beautifully. She says Oscar was technically the one at fault. She’s not asking Cameron to apologize for the fight, but to Josslyn. He should, right? Franco says, absolutely. Elizabeth says Oscar doesn’t have much time. The tumor is growing. Kim has exhausted all medical avenues, so he’s possibly dying.

Julian says Kim can talk to him. She knows, and she will someday. He says, so something is going on. She says she’s asking him to understand. She can’t tell him right now. Julian says, okay, and asks what else is going on. Are lots of babies being born at GH? She says she was in the ER with Oscar.

Maxie laughs with Lulu about Nina’s face when the elevator door opened. Lulu points out that they’re still talking about it, and Maxie says it was traumatic. She’s changing the subject, and asks Lulu how’s work? Lulu says there’s side to tabloid journalism that’s very freeing. Maxie asks if Peter is pushing too hard, but Lulu says he pushes the perfect amount. She was worried she’s spend too much time working closely with him, but they’re actually working on a story. Which brings Lulu to why she asked Maxie to dinner. The Ryan Chamberlain piece Peter is publishing? She’s writing it.

Lucy knows her and Doc’s relationship has been strained for a long time, but she hopes he knows he can talk to her anytime about anything. He bets Felicia feels the same way, and Lucy says, of course, but this is different. She doesn’t want him to always think of her as the cheater. She’s the one he opened up to about his and Ryan’s trauma as children. He said he felt freed afterwards when he realized it was over, and knew he couldn’t save Ryan from his own mind. It helped him to be able to become the man he is today. Ryan says, enough. No more tripping down Memory Lane.

Maxie thought Lulu wanted nothing to do with the story. Lulu says she didn’t, but Peter was going to run it, no matter what. He came to her, wanting to give her first crack at it, saying she was his most ethical reporter. She’s going to be as sensitive as humanly possible. Maxie says, even still, be prepared for backlash. Has she talked to Doc. Lulu says she did, and he gave her his blessing.

Lucy apologizes. She knows it’s painful to think about the way Ryan tortured Felicia and Maxie. She heard that Lulu was writing a story about it, and Ryan says he’s okay with that. Lucy is surprised, and he says, the more we know about the psychotic mind, the better. (Insert tinkly the more you know music here.) Maxie hears, and says that’s enlightened of him, but she doesn’t think her mom will feel the way.

Kim tells Julian it was low blood sugar; it’s happened before, and unfortunately will happen again. Julian says now he understands why she’s worried about him. She says Julian’s timing is perfect; she’s been missing him. He says, it’s nice to be missed. He missed her too, but he’s there to see Oscar.

Drew joins Sam and Oscar. Sam says she was just leaving. Scout is still sleeping, and Danny has Annabelle in his room. She hopes it’s okay with Drew if they stay the night. Drew says he’d love it. He asks Oscar how the project is going, and Oscar says it’s getting there. Sam asks to talk to Drew, and they go out on the patio. Cameron comes in, and Oscar says he thought Cameron was grounded. Cameron says his mom gave him a pass to see Josslyn.

Sasha tells Curtis she’s heard the story a hundred times, about how she was almost born in the car during a snowstorm. Curtis says, what if it’s just that? A story. If there’s the slightest chance, wouldn’t she want to know? She says he has the wrong person. He sees her wallet, and it’s decorated with equestrian designs. He says he sees she loves horses. The woman who hired him is a champion rider.

Nina tells Anna that she and Valentin are getting divorced; the papers just need to be signed. Anna was there when she left. Anna says she thought he’d figure out a way to win her back. Nina says, what he did with Peter was monstrous. Anna says she agrees, but they were young, and the situation untenable. It had nothing to do with the child Nina lost. Nina says when she woke up from her coma, her child was gone, along with any chance to have another. It hit her in visceral way. She has to admit, it’s all emotional, and not rational. She wonders why she’s talking to Anna, since they’re not friends. Anna says, maybe that’s why. It’s easier. She tells Nina that she’s sorry for her loss.

Elizabeth tells Franco, as a mom, she can’t wrap her head around it; it’s a parents worst nightmare. You don’t want to think about something like that happening. Poor Drew. Franco says, oh no. He did something stupid. They were discussing kids, and he said something clever like, it’s great how they grow older and mature. Elizabeth says he didn’t know. Just like Cameron doesn’t know. His resentment is normal, but when Oscar doesn’t make it, he’ll remember being mean, and wishing Oscar would disappear to clear a path to Josslyn. Franco says, survivor’s guilt is part of the process. She says she can only make sure he doesn’t do something where his shame is warranted. Franco says the boys are probably bonding as they speak. Elizabeth hopes so.

Cameron tells Oscar that his mom forced him to apologize to Josslyn again. He feels like he and Josslyn had worked it out, and he tried to tell her, but she wouldn’t listen. She freaked out. Oscar says his mom is acting weird too. He asks if Cameron’s mom knows he’s there, and Cameron says she’s all for it. She wants them to be friends. Oscar asks why? and Cameron says they are friends; he doesn’t want it awkward. Are they cool? Oscar says, no hard feelings, and Cameron opens his arms for a hug. He says he’s kidding, and Oscar should have seen his own face.

Sam apologizes to Drew. She didn’t mean to mention it to Kim. Drew says it’s okay. Kim is dealing with it herself. It’s against his advice, but that’s the way it is. He says he wanted to talk to Kim about what they’re going to do next. Sam is guessing it didn’t go so well.

Julian tells Kim that he’s trying get Oscar to like him more; or at least have it not so toxic. Kim says Oscar has high standards, and Julian says he got tickets for Hamilton. He’d like to take her and Oscar; would he like it. She says he’s crazy about the recording, and thought they’d have to turn it into a movie for him to see it. She ask when they’re going, and Julian says April 17th. Okay, two things here from someone who would also like to see Hamilton, but can’t afford it. I’m pretty sure Julian would be able to get tickets for a date sooner than next April, and Lin-Manuel Miranda has promised it will eventually be on DVD with (hopefully) the original cast. That’s probably when I’ll see it.

Ryan tells Maxie that he’d prefer not to delve into the past, but the story was going to be told regardless. Isn’t it better if Lulu tells it? Maxie is worried about her mom, and Lucy says they all are. Ryan says she’s the first thing he thought of. Maxie says when she told Felicia it might happen, she was shaken. Lucy says, it doesn’t go away. Ryan murdered someone in front of Felicia terrorized her, and kidnapped her child. Ryan says he’ll do anything to help. Maybe he can talk to her, and they can work through their feelings together. That would be seriously weird for a psychiatrist to suggest.

Anna says maybe Nina needs to focus on working through her feelings about the child she lost. Nina says it’s a long story. Her mother died, and left something that might imply the child is alive. It’s silly, but she’s been fantasizing about her child being alive. She knows it’s completely crazy, but one part of her mind can’t keep it straight, and Valentin is tied up in that. Anna says she’d be the last person to defend Valentin, but she can say that he really loves her, and honestly thinks he would do anything for her.

Sasha tells Curtis that all of her friends’ moms are terrified of horses, and hers is too. Does she live in a cult? It’s not like there’s an equestrian gene; it’s probably a coincidence. Curtis says it would mean the world to his friend to find her daughter. Sasha says it’s not her. Her mom is her best friend. He says he’s just asking if she’ll take the DNA test. If she’s telling the truth, she won’t ever see him again. He asks her to at least consider it.

Lucy asks Ryan if he’s sure he wants to reopen old wounds. He says he can manage – for Felicia. Maxie tells him to be casual. Don’t mention that they talked about it. Just act like the awesome friend he is. He says he’s on it. He knows exactly what to do. Maxie goes back to her table, and Lucy says she’ll send a text to Felicia. They can invite Mac and Felicia over. It will be like old times. Ryan says he was hoping get her alone. I’ll bet.

Maxie tells Lulu that Doc is fine with the story, but she seemed off get the vibe that Lucy was trying to distract him. Lulu says, he’s having a meal with his ex, and Maxie says, Lucy wouldn’t do that. She’s just being paranoid.

Julian asks Kim if something is wrong with April, and she says, it’s a long time away; next spring. So much could happen between now and then. He says, between them? She’s not being very optimistic. She asks if they could focus on the here and now. He suggests doing both, and she agrees. He says he knows what he wants to do right now, and kisses her.

Drew tells Sam that he gets what Kim feels. Part of him agrees, but Oscar needs to hear it from his parents that he’s sick. Imagine if he found out another way. Sam says that’s horrible, but doesn’t think it will happen. Drew says, secrets have a way of coming out, and not in the way we want. Sam tells him to feel free to ignore her observation, but what’s bothering him is that it’s out of his control. The only part of the situation he can control is telling Oscar. Drew says, it’s dishonest. Sam gets that, and Drew has been carrying the weight for Oscar because he loves him and Oscar is his son. If it gets too heavy, he can lean on her. Drew says he really can’t.

It’s time for Franco and Elizabeth to divide and conquer. She’s going to help Cameron with his math, while Franco helps Jake with his book report. Elizabeth tells Franco that what she told him about Oscar stays between them. His parents will tell him in their own time, and in their own way. He promises not to screw it up. Elizabeth goes upstairs, and Franco looks on his laptop at the site for the Port Charles Children’s Brain Tumor Institute; leaders in pediatric brain cancer. He calls Drew, leaving a message that Elizabeth told him.

Drew tells Sam that he wants to accept her offer, but he can’t. When she’s around, he wants what they used to have. It’s not good for either one of them. He says, thanks, but he has to go through it alone. Sam tells him, good luck. Alone, he watches Oscar through the window.

Elizabeth calls for Franco, and he says he’ll be right there. Cameron starts to come in. Franco is still on the phone, and says if Drew wants to talk, he’s there. He’s so sorry about Oscar. Cameron hears, and slips back out. Franco goes upstairs, and Cameron comes inside. He sees the laptop, and says, brain tumor?

Kim thanks Julian for coming by, even if technically, it wasn’t to see her. She needed this. She needed him; more than he knows. She kisses him. He picks her up, and carries her to the bedroom. I presume that’s where he’s headed anyway.

Nina thanks Anna for the tea and talk, and Anna tells her, any time. Nina asks Anna what it’s like, reuniting with her son. Anna says, a fraud. It’s the best word she can come up with that defines their relationship. If she can even call it that. It’s tenuous; a sliver of a thing. Nina says, but Anna knows where he is, and he knows who she is. Nina would give anything for that.

Sasha asks Curtis how does she know it’s not a scam, and he’ll use her DNA to clone her? He says his client is just a woman, desperate to find out if her child is still out there. The odds are that she’s not who they’re looking for anyway, but it will help him scratch her name off the list, and take the search in a different direction. Curtis puts an envelope on the table. He tells Sasha to take it at her convenience, shoot him a text, and he’ll pick it up. Sasha says, fine. Even if it’s only to prove she’s not his client’s daughter. She does kind of look like Nina, but are we not getting the satisfaction of playing the guessing game with the characters we already have?

Lulu has to get back to work. She promised to bring Peter something to eat. Maxie says he can order and have it delivered. Lulu says she told him that he’s only allowed to ask about her every three hours. He talks about her and James incessantly, to the point that they weren’t getting any work done. Maxie asks Lulu to tell Peter that she hopes he feels better about the elevator.

Ryan tells Lucy, no, but she says Felicia needs all of them. She tells him, too late. She already sent the message, and got the quickest confirm ever. It’s a win-win. He’ll be with friends to lift him up, and they can all reassure Felicia that Ryan will never hurt her again.

Tomorrow, Ava says Julian isn’t telling her everything, Valentin tells Curtis to proceed with caution, and Michael isn’t okay.

⚓ Along with The Haves and the Have Nots, Below Deck (the Original) will return on October 2nd. Tonight, besides a rerun of their last reunion, Bravo treated us to Captain Lee’s Yachtrageous Moments. It was basically Captain Lee narrating clips of what’s happened up until now. It was very enjoyable, since not only do I have a daddy crush on Captain Lee, we got to revisit such classics as Steve’s foam party and Eddie’s avoidance of admitting he was sleeping with Rocky. A colossal f*ck up, in the words of the captain.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Robin answers the door at Anna’s. It’s Jason.

Josslyn texts Oscar, asking if they’re still on to work on the English project.

Oscar tells Drew it was a cool party. Drew thinks it’s great to have family together. Oscar talks about putting his display together for English class, and Kim asks if he thinks he’s leaving without discussing the fight.

Cameron stops by the hospital, and Elizabeth sees his face. She asks, what happened?

Ryan as Doc makes restaurant reservations. He looks at a picture of Doc and Laura, and says he’ll have a special guest joining him. Franco walks in, and says he’s on to him. He’s figured out what he’s up to, and calls him doctor.

Jordan tells Sonny that she and Margaux have questions related to the incident at Charlie’s Pub. Sonny has said everything he has to say, but Margaux says they came to talk to his father. Mike doesn’t know how he can help, and Jordan says he was in the pub when the gas line exploded. Margaux says maybe he can shed some light on how a body came to be buried in the basement.

Robin tells Jason that she’s been meaning to reach out and thank him for helping save her mom. Jason says Anna saved herself; he didn’t do much. Robin says it’s like him not to take credit. He’s just glad her mom is safe, and she says a large part is due to him. He asks how they’re doing, and she says they’re a work in progress; she’s going with that. She says, finding out she has a long lost brother… and Jason says, it’s a lot. She says he must hate it. Peter stole five years from Jason, and he’s out there free.

Oscar tells Kim it’s not a big deal. Kim says he could have been hurt, suspended, or worse. They’ll discuss the consequences when they get home. He bets Cameron’s mom isn’t freaking out. Kim tells Drew that Oscar got in a fight with Cameron, and she’s calling Elizabeth. Oscar asks Drew to stop her, but he doesn’t think that’s the best idea.

Elizabeth tells Cameron it looks like it hurts. She asks how it happened. He says he was messing around, and not looking where he was going. He tripped on a rock. Elizabeth’s phone rings. It’s Kim. She tells Cameron that he and Oscar got in a fight, but he insists they didn’t.

Franco tells Ryan that he can’t fool him. He knows Doc’s generous wedding gift was a way to keep him coming to sessions to get more information for his study. And now he’s out a crockpot. Ryan asks if he has an appointment, and Franco tells him that he said to come anytime. Ryan asks what’s on his mind, but Franco says, tell him. Doc knows Franco’s history better than anyone. Does he think a guy like Franco has a place with a family like Elizabeth’s?

Mike says he knows nothing about a body. Margaux asks if he’s sure, and Sonny asks if she’s aware of Mike’s illness. It’s no state to question him in. Carly says he gets upset, and it exacerbates his condition. Margaux says he was old friends with Charlie, and Mike says he knew him. Margaux says there’s been a body stashed under the bar for decades. Does he know anything about that?

Robin tells Jason that what happened wasn’t right. He’s allowed to be mad. She’s still mad. Jason says, and she can’t show it. She says she slipped into strong, brave Robin. After she first found out she was HIV positive, everybody was having a hard time, and she thought she had to be strong for them. He’s the only person she can talk to; say anything to. She thinks she has a handle on it, and Emma shows her a picture of something she missed. She’s reminded of all the moments she was deprived of. At least she has the satisfaction of Faison being dead. Peter could be having dinner at the MetroCourt because of her parents.

Margaux says Mike and Charlie seem to go way back. Carly asks if she’s implying Mike had something to do with it, and Margaux says, not at all. Jordan says they’re just hoping he can help. Carly asks if Margaux isn’t concerned, since she sent Carly to Ferncliff because her last name is Corinthos. Does she want to dig a hole with Mike when she just crawled out of one with her? Sonny says they’re dead wrong if they think Mike had anything to do with the murder. Margaux says, interesting choice of words. Wow. That was a big slip on Sonny’s part.

Elizabeth says obviously they don’t want their boys fighting, and Kim says they’ll talk later. Oscar can’t believe she did that. Kim says she’s looking out for him, and he says she’s ruining his life. His mommy saved him, the kids at school will probably have a field day. He asks if he can stay another night to finish his project. Kim says he’s just postponing his punishment, but says he can stay. He leaves the room, and Drew says, he’s a teen. Kim says, happy birthday.

Elizabeth says, so Cameron tripped on a rock. Would the rock’s name be Oscar? He’s sorry he lied; he knew she’d be upset. She says, of course she is. He can’t be getting into fights, especially not with Oscar. He asks what she means.

Ryan tells Franco that he needs him to unpack that statement. Why does he feel he can’t be part of Elizabeth’s family? Franco says his reach is limited with the boys. They’ve been together for years, but Cameron still treats him like an outsider, and Aiden will follow his big brother’s lead. Elizabeth’s children are her life. Yesterday, he saw Elizabeth and Drew hugging. He knows they have a relationship because of Jake, and he gets that Drew is still connected with the boys. He feels like his relationship with Jake solid. They have a relationship beyond their shared childhood trauma. Ryan says they had similar experiences, and Franco says, Jake didn’t have a special friend, but emotional abuse and physical abuse can have the same impact. He wants to know how long it takes. When will his history stop hanging over him like a dense fog? Ryan says, never.

Robin tells Jason that her mom didn’t want to prosecute Peter, and her dad’s rank made it happen. She didn’t want her brother sent away for twenty years in Steinmaur, but he deserves to be punished for what he did to Jason. She wouldn’t blame him if… He says he has no intention of retaliating, out of respect for Robin and her mom.

Josslyn meets Oscar at the Quartermaine’s. She says good thing he texted; she was halfway to his mom’s. Oscar says, sorry, and she asks, why the location change? He says things got tense at the party. She sees his hand, and asks what happened. He says he got in a fight with Cameron after he told Oscar that they kissed.

Kim goes through the mail, and pulls out a manila envelope. She gets weepy, and puts her head in her hands. There’s a knock at the door. She pulls herself together, and answers. It’s Drew. He says they have some unfinished business.

Franco tells Ryan it’s not the reaction he was expecting. Who is he, and what has he done with Kevin? Ryan says he’s wary of using terms like getting over it when comes to mental health. The past is past. It’s written in blood, and you can’t get over it; it’s always with you. Having said that, he tells Franco what they can do is find way to channel his history to be productive. What is he prepared to do to keep the people he loves from running?

Margaux says Mike and Charlie had a history, and Sonny asks what that has to do with his father. She says, maybe nothing, but there seems to be a lot of crossover with this family and Charlie’s Pub, including Sonny trying to buy the bar. He says he sells coffee there; it’s called vertical integration. It’s a business move. Margaux says the body has been found. There’s only matter of time before they ID it, and determine what happened and who’s involved. If Mike has anything to tell her about the night of the explosion, now would be a good time. Jordan says they can help him, and Carly says he’s not answering any questions without a lawyer. Margaux asks if he can tell them why he was there that night.

Jason tells Robin, when he was going through the search with her mom, he learned a lot. Robin says, she’s a good liar. He says she never told him, but he saw how torn up she was looking back, and he respected her. Maybe is wasn’t the right choice, but Anna had to carry the consequences for the rest of her life. It’s not easy. Robin says, no, it’s not. Too bad he wasn’t there when Anna told her. It didn’t go well. All she could see was the bad, and not what Anna did to overcome it. Jason says he thought about revenge, but it won’t get back the time he lost, and it would hurt her mom. So for her sake, he’s glad it got dropped.

Sonny says he’ll call Diane, but Mike says, it’s okay; he has nothing to hide. He walks by Charlie’s almost every night, and that night, he thought he should go in and talk to the owner about getting his daughter a job. Jordan says he must mean his granddaughter. That’s why Kristina was at Charlie’s. She asks if Mike set it up, and Mike says, Kristina is barely out of diapers. He’s talking about Courtney, his daughter. She’s had some shady gigs, and he felt she’d be safe there. He asks why everyone is looking at him.

Franco says Doc is very good. Instead of telling him be honest with Elizabeth, he’s leading him to make the determination on his own. He needs to share his concerns, and not let the smaller thoughts and insecurities come between them. Ryan jokes, he’s supposed to be the therapist. He says it was a good session. He knows Franco was taken aback, but it does no good to paint a rosy unrealistic picture. Franco needs to find closure. Franco says his abuser is dead, but Ryan says they have so much more to explore. Don’t wait too long before seeing him again. After Franco leaves, Ryan takes out his file.

Cameron tells Elizabeth that he tried to walk away, but Oscar pushed him. Elizabeth wants them to be friends, and Cameron asks why she cares if they hang out? Elizabeth says she’s friends with Oscar’s mom, and she’d like it if their boys would at least not beat each other up. She asks what the fight was about. School? Sports? Girls? She sees his face, and says, oh. Josslyn.

Drew tells Kim he thought they could discuss Oscar, and she says she thought they were on the same page. He says she wants him to live a normal life. Boys fighting are part of a normal life. She has the right to pass out consequences, but keeping him in a bubble is denying him his chance of having choices. She asks what the solution is, and Drew says, give him control of his life. Tell him he’s sick.

Mike tells Margaux and Jordan that he doesn’t know about the gas leak or a body. He was just getting a job for his daughter. In an amazingly insensitive move, Jordan says she’s been dead for years. Mike freaks. Sonny tells Mike that Jordan mistook Courtney for someone else. Carly tells them if they want to talk to Mike, she’ll bring him to the station with his lawyer. Jordan regrets any discomfort, and she and Margaux leave. When they’re gone, Mike laughs, and asks if he was good. Yeah. I thought Mike was faking.

Robin thanks Jason for his generosity in not pursuing the case. Maybe one day she can suck it up, but she feels like she’d be betraying Jason. Jason says whatever Peter did is in the past. It’s over, unless he’s actively hurting someone. Robin says, then all bets are off. It never occurred to her that she’s not the only one putting on a brave face. Her mom too. Robin wonders where she and Jason would be now if they hadn’t found each other.

Kim says she’ll tell Oscar, and Drew asks, when? She doesn’t know, and says Oscar has a birthday coming up. Can Drew give him that? Drew says, too many people know; they have to face the facts that Oscar is sick. She tells not to tell her how to coach in the last inning. She’s been making every important decision; alone. He says she’s not alone anymore; let him help. It will only get worse, and Oscar could find out from someone else. Is that what she wants? She says, of course not, and Drew says she needs to tell him. Kim says she’s a doctor. She’s consulted, and gone over the results, backward and forward. The chance of Oscar seeing his next birthday are excellent. Let him celebrate another year without fallout. Drew says, after.

Josslyn can’t believe Oscar and Cameron were fighting over her. Oscar asks if she’s mad, and she says, no, but it’s a waste of time. They could fight all day every day, and it would make no difference. She has a mind of her own. Oscar says he got jealous when Cameron said he kissed Josslyn. Josslyn says Cameron kissed her. She was pissed. Oscar says, join the club. He didn’t want to upset her, but wishes he hadn’t found out from Cameron. That made it way worse. He asks if she likes Cameron.

Elizabeth says, Cameron kissed Josslyn when he knows she’s dating Oscar? Cameron says, it was just a kiss. He’s been into her forever. Elizabeth says that doesn’t mean he can kiss her without her consent. Cameron says he got the message; from both of them. She says they’re not finished with the conversation. Cameron leaves, walking past Franco and ignoring him. Elizabeth says she’ll tell Franco about it later over wine. She asks why he’s there; she thought he was headed home. He says he decided to visit Doc, and talk about his relationship with Cameron. Doc encouraged him to be honest with her. Something else happened. He thought their relationship was smooth sailing, then saw her with Drew. They were hugging. He knows they have a relationship because of Jake, but he felt insecure as a father figure for a minute. He wondered if she thought someone else was better at the job. She thanks him for sharing, and says the hug had nothing to do with her relationship with Drew or Jake. Franco asks, what’s going on? It looked intense.

Jason asks why Robin didn’t tell him about Patrick and Sam almost getting married. She asks who told him, and he says, Sam. Robin knows it was all kinds of wrong on a million levels, but can they get dinner, and never talk about it again?

Outside Sonny’s, Margaux says she kept pressing, and Jordan says any statement they would have gotten from Mike would have been tossed out. Margaux thinks it’s a dead end for results. If they’re lucky, the bullet will lead them straight to the killer.

Mike says the DA thought she’d make him useful in getting to Sonny. He did what he had to do. Carly says Mike talking about Courtney was an act, and Mike says he didn’t like using it, but he’s having more bad days than good days lately. When he has a good one, he wants to make it count. Sonny says he didn’t have to, but Mike says, he did. Sonny is going through hell because of something Mike did when Sonny was a kid. In trying to protect him, he made it worse. He’s going to fix it; Sonny will see. He’s not going to be a burden anymore. Carly says, he’s not; they love him. He tells her to make an appointment to visit the facility. He wants to keep his options open.

Josslyn says of course she likes Cameron. She’s known him her whole life. He’s a great guy, but that doesn’t mean she wants to be with him. She thought Oscar knew her by now. He says he does, but he needs to be reminded once in a while. She says they were supposed to meet, but he didn’t show up. Oscar says he was in the hospital, and Josslyn says they didn’t know it yet. Cameron thought Oscar was blowing her off, and saw it as an opening, which it wasn’t, and kissed her. She shut him down faster than immediately. Oscar is sorry he and Cameron fought, and Josslyn is sorry he thought he had to. Josslyn asks him to never fight again, but he says he can’t promise that. She thought he was a lover, not a fighter, but he says maybe he’s somewhere in between. They kiss.

Kim tells Drew that Oscar is a young man, enjoying life; hiking, music, a girlfriend, blissfully unaware. As his mom, she can give this to him. Once he knows, he can still be happy, but there will always be a dark cloud lingering. It’s frustrating; she has no control. She can’t help him. She can’t save him. The only thing she can give to him is his happiness without a dark cloud hanging over him. She knows it’s not much, but it’s something. She wants it for him. She needs it. Drew says, okay. They’ll tell him after his birthday. She thanks him, and he holds her.

Elizabeth says she told Kim that she and Franco weren’t keeping secrets, but if he asked her directly, she’d have to be honest. She and Drew were hugging because she was comforting him. He’d received horrible news. That’s not even the right word – it’s unthinkable. Oscar has a malignant brain tumor.

Ryan looks at Franco’s file. There’s a knock at the door. He opens it and smiles. He says their reservations are all set. He’s so glad she could make it on short notice. Lucy says she would do anything for him.

Tomorrow, Nina asks Anna if she’s in danger, Julian wants to see Oscar, and Lulu tells Maxie that she’s writing the Ryan Chamberlain piece.

The Real Housewives of Orange County

Just for the record, I think Shane is a little bitch.

Emily starts to get in Kelly’s face and point her finger, yelling, that’s my husband. She tells the others to get Kelly the eff away from her. Gina tells her to walk away. Shannon tries to calm Kelly down, who isn’t nearly as crazy. In her interview, Tamra says she goes upstairs for literally five minutes, and all hell breaks loose. She asks Emily what happened, and Emily says don’t call her husband a bitch, confusing Tamra. Emily says Kelly called her husband a bitch, and it’s not okay. In her interview, Vicki says Kelly fights dirty, and uses words she never would. We flash back to a few times Kelly has said what we’re all thinking.

Shane says he doesn’t care. Emily says she does, and he asks if she’s valuing Kelly’s opinion. He tries to get her to chill for a moment. She says she can’t deal, and he says don’t hang out with her ten. Her MO is to drink and get mad at people. In her interview, Emily says her only response to Kelly being offensive is to protect her husband and marriage, and take Kelly down. She asks Shane what he’d do if someone talked like that about her, and he says he’d take her out of the situation and leave.

Gina says she’s dealing with her own sh*t right now. Kelly tells her that Emily said she’s going to kill her, and she’s a lawyer. In her interview, Kelly says if she’d known Shane was Emily’s husband, she would have called him a p*ssy. She doesn’t like people getting in her business; she goes nuts. Vicki tells Emily that her husband took the fall for Steve. He’s friends with Kelly’s ex. Vicki says the marriage didn’t work, and they both moved on. She doesn’t need Kelly to destroy her situation. She’s all about love. Steve asks if he can get her anything, and Vicki says her pajamas and hot tea. In her interview, Vicki thinks they should all be quiet, go home, and let the alcohol wear off. Nothing is going to be solved tonight. Vicki calls it a night, and tells them, no fighting.

Kelly wonders if Steve is hitting it and quitting it. She heard he’s using Vicki for her money. Money talks; bullsh*t walks. In her interview, Kelly thinks Steve is hiding something, and everyone should know what kind of person he is. She leave the party. Tamra asks if Eddie had good birthday. She forgot to get a present, and he says she’s his present. Aww.

Vicki visits Tamra, telling her the house cleaned up nice. She says the red thing came off well; other things didn’t. Tamra says she invited Emily over, since she got two different stories. She was upstairs showing someone her new furniture. In her interview, Tamra thinks there’s more to the conversation than she’s hearing. She needs to get to the bottom of things. Vicki says she thought Kelly was over harboring feelings against Steve. She says Page Six reached out. Steve said he was still friends with Michael and he was the one who set him up with the date. Kelly is overreacting. It’s not about her; it’s about two guys being friends. He talked about Vicki saying not to tell Kelly on social media, and Kelly called him a d-bag.

Emily arrives. Vicki tells her that Kelly is mad at Steve, but he wants noting to do with her. Emily says Shane doesn’t either; he doesn’t have time for that. Tamra says Shane pushed a button, and Emily says she would have handled it differently if she’d known what was going on. Tamra says Kelly has to be sat down for a one-on-one, and have things explained to her. Then she’ll admit she was an a-hole. Vicki says Kelly doesn’t give a rat’s ass about Steve; she doesn’t want anyone to be happy. Tamra tells Vicki that Kelly said Steve was with her for her money. In her interview, Tamra says it’s the worst thing when the women start playing telephone with a rumor, so she wanted it out there right away. Emily says Vicki makes her own money, so she doesn’t need to be with a man who has money. I’m not sure if that exonerated Steve very well. Vicki just wants everyone to leave them alone. And by the way, she doesn’t have that much money.

Shannon calls Kelly on way to her date. She’s nervous; no bueno. She tells Kelly that she’s wearing eff-me shoes. In her interview, Shannon says she’s fifty-four and going on her first blind date. We see a clip of Shannon telling Tamra the matchmaker called, and showing Tamra his picture. Tamra says he has a lot of cats, and Shannon is like, what? She says it’s her first date in twenty years. Clinton was President the last time she had a first date. She hobbles out of the limo.

The hostess tells Shannon that Tom is waiting for her at the bar. She apologizes for being late, and explains she sprained her ankle. He’s impressed that she can wear high heels with an injury. In her interview, she’s pleasantly surprised that he’s handsome. She also hasn’t had this many compliments in a long time. She tells him about her daughters, and how one is a great athlete, but didn’t get it from her. He tells her that he was married thirty years, and spent the first year after the divorce crying. He was like the Sarah McLaughlin song that plays during the save-the-dogs commercial. In her interview, Shannon says she’s never been with someone who cries; he’s clearly sensitive. She likes him, and he’s nice, but he has too many cats. She’s not a cat person.

Wow. It’s over already, so I guess it was just drinks. Tom helps Shannon up, and she says this is where she uses her core. She doesn’t have one, but she’s going to get one someday. I literally lol. Yeah, me too.

Tamra packs for Florida. She and Eddie are going to Disney. She talks on the phone to Gina, saying she’s a little concerned about having to wear a boot. I doubt they let you on many rides if you’re wearing one.

Emily calls Kelly. They haven’t spoken since the party, and she thinks they should sit down and talk.

In her interview, Gina says she and Matt are struggling. They’ve been fighting; it sucks and it’s embarrassing. She visits Emily at her office. She says she didn’t want to tell her friends the relationship isn’t perfect. She’s trying to process. The party was a lot, and she was upset already dealing with life. Emily feels like from the time they met until now, they skipped a million steps. Gina says she and Matt couldn’t figure it out. They both felt the same way, but didn’t want to say anything. They’ve been fighting a lot. In her interview, Gina says when they started fighting over stupid things, they were forced to look at and evaluate their relationship. They don’t have an emotional connection. She asks Emily, what’s the alternative? They think about the kids, want to make it work, and fight again. She doesn’t want to look back and end up with what Shannon is going though. She doesn’t think of it as a failure; it’s just empty. In her interview, Gina says it’s not about what she wants in a partner, but realizing what she doesn’t have. She tells Emily there’s a social perception of what their relationship should be. Emily says she needs to come up with what she feels is best, and go with it. Really? She gets paid for that kind of advice?

Steve takes Vicki to lunch, and it’s a surprise party with both of their families. In her interview, Vicki says it makes her feel important that people are taking time out for her, especially son Michael. She says she feels popular. Vicki’s brother Billy comes out with some tequila shots, dressed like a waiter. She’s totally shocked to see him; he flew in from Chicago. In her interview, she says it’s her family, and it feels good to be here. Michael helped organize it, and she says she respects and loves her family. She tells Steve that he’d better not let her down or she’ll go to his mother. She drinks part of a shot, and dumps the rest, saying she can’t do like she used to. In her interview, she says she feels great at fifty-six, and feels at peace with Steve in her life. She says she doesn’t need a man for money or vice versa, and tells everyone she’s with Steve for love, unlike some people. In her interview, Vicki says Kelly just wants to find a way to hurt her. She’d said she was jealous of Vicki’s relationship. She tells everyone it’s the best birthday ever.

Vicki goes with Shannon to see Dr. Moon. Shannon tells him that she sprained her ankle, and Vicki’s ankle is swelling. In her interview, Shannon explains that Dr. Moon is an energy healer she’s been seeing since the children were born. Dr. Moon says she either talks or eats too much. She says he helped her with emotional resentment. She built up anger in her liver, and there was sadness in her lungs. It’s all about emotional energy in the body. Dr. Moon puts some needles in Shannon’s hand, and babbles about pain balance and symmetry. He checks out Vicki, saying she’s had anger in the past, and it gave her liver stress. Shannon asks who she’s angry at, and Vicki says Brooks Dr. Moon tells her to think about the anger, and pokes at her. She yells, ow! and says it’s like an exorcism.

Gina calls mom Susan while the kids are napping. She says she knew something was off, and has been having feelings of self-awareness. On Long Island, they grew up in a bubble, got married, and had babies. When they moved there, everything was different. When Matt moved, there was so much space, but when he comes home, there’s a disconnect. They tried to have a conversation, and be reasonable, and they think the best thing is a divorce. She cries. In her interview, Gina says it’s like a death by 1000 paper cuts when you’ve been with someone so long. They’ve been best friends for eleven years; she doesn’t know what to do with it. Susan tells her to be sure of what she wants. Gina asks if her dad will be upset, but Susan says he loves and wants what’s best for her and the kids. She can’t do it for anyone else. In her interview, Gina doesn’t know what’s the best decision. She might regret it, and find out it was the worst; but they both feel the decision needs to be made, and they’re making it. Susan says to keep her in loop, and call if she needs anything.

In her interview, Emily is willing to meet with Kelly, and apologize for her part. We see a clip of Emily visiting her therapist. She tells the therapist that she said she’d kill Kelly, and doesn’t know where those words came from. She’s never said that before. Kelly joins her. They both admit they were out of control, and said things that were out of line. Emily says Shane was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Kelly says Shane was butting in where it wasn’t his place. He was sticking up for Steve, and she didn’t like it. Shane said she was drunk and she saw red. Emily says whatever he said that set her off, she understands. Kelly has the right to be mad, but Emily doesn’t appreciate the name calling. That’s her husband, the father of her kids. She can say she doesn’t agree or she doesn’t like what he’s saying. Kelly says she didn’t know he was Emily’s husband, but Emily says she shouldn’t say that stuff to anyone. Kelly tells Emily that she shouldn’t say she’s going to kill someone. Emily says, touché. She’s said she was wrong, and owns that. She feels they’ve both said their piece, and apologized, and should move on. She’d like to be where they were before. Kelly says before someone decides to jump in. They’re at a place called Madison Square & Garden Café. I hate when California tries to be NYC cute.

Tamra, Gina, Emily and Shannon meet for dinner. Tamra says it was great to get away from the stress. Emily asks about Shannon’s date, and Shannon says he was a nice guy. He was married for thirty years, and they decided they weren’t meant for each other. Emily asks if she’s heard from him, and Shannon says he called the next day. Tamra thinks she should go out with someone new, and Shannon says the matchmaker has a few choices for her. Gina thinks it’s weird that Tom and his wife decided they weren’t meant for each other after being married thirty years.

Gina says that Matt isn’t in the conversation a lot because he’s not there, and tells the women that they’re splitting up. He’s been away off and on for eight months, and she already feels like they’ve been separated. Emily says that’s not good for anyone. Tamra says she thought it was weird, and asks why he doesn’t move back home. Gina says he’s away for work, but Tamra thinks you should get divorced over a job. There must be more to it than that. Gina says they’re still friends, and she’s still attracted to him. Emily tells her, the grass is not always greener, but Gina thinks they’re making a good decision before it turns into a bad situation. Shannon says she tried to be fair and amicable. Gina says she and Matt are best friends, and will be their whole lives. In her interview, Shannon says it would be nice to see her fight to keep her family together. Gina appreciates their wisdom. In her interview, Gina says it’s not easy to talk, but some of the others have gone through it, so she’s putting it out there; looking for validation, and seeing it’s okay.

Shannon says she saw Vicki over weekend. Gina says Vicki told her that she regretted not fighting for her marriage. She knows Vicki is coming from a good place, but her relationship is dead. Tamra says it was the last time Vicki was happy. Gina says Vicki is with her boyfriend now, and Tamra says Vicki doesn’t love him. She’d said maybe she should see the matchmaker too. We see a clip of Tamra talking to the matchmaker, and Vicki trying to horn in. Shannon says Dr. Moon did the muscle test. He said she had emotional anger, and Vicki said she’s still angry about Brooks. Tamra says she warned Vicki. Gina says Vicki has been sweet to her, and she hasn’t been burnt by the other side. Tamra says when someone isn’t in a good relationship, attacking another’s marriage is the worst.

Tamra says she missed the argument. Shannon was surprised, since she and Kelly had been rehearsing a mature conversation with Steve. We flash back to that. Knowing Kelly is easily triggered, Gina would have encouraged her not to have a conversation there at all. Shannon says she thinks she knows Kelly better than Gina. Gina says she had to break up a fight, and asks if that was a good outcome. Shannon says Kelly relayed her feelings, and thinks that was a positive step. Maybe Gina shouldn’t be so judgmental. Gina says if you’re going to stir the pot, own it, and Shannon says she wasn’t stirring anything. Gina says she sent Kelly in there. In her interview, Shannon says Emily threatened to kill someone. Why is everything her fault? Gina feels badly for Kelly, and says if she knew Emily was hot, she wouldn’t send her in there either. She’s not judging; she just would have done it differently. Can’t she have a difference of opinion?

Next time, Shane meets with Kelly, Vicki sets up some flirting, and Vicki wonders if Gina has a moral compass.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

Fear the Walking Dead

A dude is trapped in a car; he’s impaled on something. The driver tells him just stay with her; someone will stop and help. The driver is Crazy Lady. I guess this is her backstory. She yells for a car to stop, but they just keep moving. As does the next one. A third goes around her.  Crazy Lady cries, and sits next to the car. A zombie toddles out of the woods. She starts telling him that her husband needs help, and realizes this guy is not right. She slams him a rake. Don’t ask me where she got that from.

Back in the car, she tells her husband someone will help them; someone will come. He wants her to go, but she won’t. She holds his hand and kisses it. It’s nighttime, and she cries on the hood of the car. The next morning, she’s still saying, someone will come. We hear zombie noises, but this time it’s her husband from inside the car. She wraps her hand, and picks up a piece of broken glass. All is quiet.

Crazy Lady buries her husband in a field nearby, digging the grave with her hands, and crying. When it’s done, she builds a fire, talks to herself, and slowly goes crazy. She sleeps on the grave.

A truck stops by the broken down car. A woman takes a box out of the back, and places it at the nearest sign. She sees Crazy Lady, and asks if she needs something. They make a drop about every ten miles. Crazy Lady looks at what she’s written on the box, and tells her, it’s farther not further. Further denotes degree; farther denotes distance. She was an English teacher, and drives people crazy, but words matter. It’s all we leave behind. The woman introduces herself as Stevie, and Crazy Lady says she’s Martha. Stevie thanks Martha for helping her. Martha says she doesn’t help, then kills Stevie, saying neither does she.

With Stevie at the end of a pole, Martha nails the next delivery person, and with that guy, the next, and so on. She tells the last guy, when you help people, they never learn to take care of themselves. She says one of them told her the man who started this calls himself Polar Bear. The guy won’t talk, and she lets the latest pole zombie loose on him. She gets on the radio in the truck, and she asks if Polar Bear copies. A voice says he thinks he hitched ride accidentally in the back of a semi. I think it’s Morgan. She half-smiles.

In the back of Sarah’s truck, Morgan and June stir. In the cab, Sarah’s belt is jammed. Jim gets her free, just as Martha comes back around in Al’s tank. The tank stops. Morgan looks through a bullet hole in the door. He wonders what she’s waiting for, and Al says she probably used up all her ammo. Sarah’s been hit, and Wen tells Jim to keep the pressure on; he’s got this. Morgan says they can’t stay, and helps Luci up. Wen says, sh*t in a sandbox, seeing there’s a gas leak.

They get out of the truck. Al runs to her tank, and opens the back. Martha comes out with her Quinn zombie kabob. Morgan tells her not to do this, and Martha says she didn’t; he did. He says, then make him pay. She tells him that he has potential. He says she’s stuck; he was too. Martha says she is, and Wen shoots her in the shoulder. Quinn is in the process of trying to eat June’s face, and Morgan stabs him in the head. Wen tells Martha not to move; he’s going to lay her down with the next one. A fire starts in the engine of the truck, and Jim tells Sarah, that’s not good. She and Jim ditch the truck, and it blows up. Morgan says, the boxes, but it’s too late. The whole thing goes up in flames.

Jim says his yeast cake was in there. A small crowd of zombies has arrived, and Luci says they don’t have enough ammo. Martha takes off in the tank.

Alicia and Charlie arrive at the remains of the truck. Charlie wonders where they are, and Alicia tells her, stay in the car. Alicia calls Morgan’s name. Charlie approaches Alicia, and says, the woman on the walkie. Why would she do this? Alicia borderline cries.

They look at a map. Charlie says, they could still be out there. Alicia says, they could be anywhere. She’s thinking east. They get back in the car.

Sarah says, sh*t in a sandbox, which is apparently the phrase of the night. A load of zombies is coming up the road behind them. Morgan says it’s going to keep building. Jim is pulling Wen, and Al has a ruptured ear drum. Jim says at least she’s mobile. Wen wants to know why Jim got through it without a scratch, and Jim says he’s good. Sarah says, at ducking, and Jim says, no; at living. We find out Sarah was a Marine. June wants to check everyone out, but Jim says they can’t slow down. Morgan sees shelter, and says maybe they can. Sarah tells him, good eye, Momo. Jim wonders why wait them out when they can keep moving away from things that want to eat them. Morgan says Jim thinks they can get ahead of them, but they won’t. Jim says he’ll take his chances. Sarah says he wouldn’t be there if Momo hadn’t saved him. Jim owes him. Jim asks, for what? She got shot because Morgan brought them back and wouldn’t listen. The woman wants him, not them. She tells him to go, and tosses his bag at him. Jim asks if Morgan really thinks they’ll be safe. He does. Jim looks at the zombies coming up the road, and joins the others. I wonder why he didn’t pick up the bag.

They hole up inside a hospital. Zombies scrabble at the windows. June says she stitched up Wen, Al has a mild concussion, and Jim is Jim. Morgan says they can’t stay for long, and June says they got medical supplies, and a chance to catch their breath.

They move deeper into the building. Sarah finds a radio. She says if that woman is still alive, she’d like to light her up like a pinball machine. Wen says he got her pretty good, but June says she shot him. Al gets where he’s coming from. She asks how he got into the chair. Wen explains that when he was ten, a kid kicked a ball into the street. He didn’t see a car coming, and Wen pushed him. The kid got up; Wen didn’t. Al asks if that’s what changed him. He says it made him help people even more. He had to work harder for things. After graduation he went to register for the Marines, but the recruiting officer laughed, and wouldn’t file the application. Al says, bad sh*t happens when you try to help people. Wen says now she’s getting it.

Alicia and Charlie looks for gas in other cars. Charlie thinks they should turn back, but Alicia says they have to keep moving. Alicia tries a truck, and gets nothing. Charlie asks how they could have gotten this far, and Alicia says they’re not looking for them. They’re going to Galveston; that’s where the beach is. Charlie has never been to the beach, so Alicia is taking her. It’s one thing she knows she can do.

Morgan blocks the windows with hospital equipment. Jim tells Morgan that earlier, when he said this was Morgan’s fault… The zombies finally push in the window, and Morgan grabs Jim. They run, and the zombies pour in.

Morgan says they need to get out. Okay, Captain Obvious. Jim says Morgan claimed they’d be safe there. Sarah tells Jim to shut up, but Jim says he got them into this. He had the answer; what now, Sherlock Holmes? They listened to him, now he needs to get them out. Everyone waits, and Morgan finally says they go up.

They bypass the first floor, where zombies clamor at the door window. Morgan says, keep going. The zombies below begin to follow. The next floor’s door window is shatter, and a zombie grabs for them as they go by. Morgan makes noise at the next door, but there’s nothing. He tells them to come in. Zombies clutter the stairwell, and they block the door behind them.

Morgan tells them to make sure the stairwells are secure. Sarah and Al check the floor. Al asks Sarah about the Marines, and Sarah says she quit. She didn’t agree with their code of conduct. Al bangs at a door, and radios Morgan that those stairs can’t be used; they dumped the dead there. Morgan suggests the west stairs, and June tells him the roof has caved in on the landing, and the barricade isn’t holding. Morgan says, the roof; they’ll take the elevators. June says the generators were kept high up because of flooding. Sarah tells Al, let’s stir some beef.

Jim tells Morgan, if they get out alive, they’re driving directly to Virginia. Morgan says he can’t get there soon enough. Two zombies back Morgan against the wall, while another one attacks Jim. Jim calls for Morgan, who’s a little busy, but grabs a pair of surgical scissors and stabs the zombie in the neck. The zombie gets Jim down on the floor, and when he grabs at it, it’s scalp comes off. Yuk, He manages to get ahold of the scissors again, and spikes it in the head. Morgan runs in, and Jim says, it wasn’t so hard. June finds the generators. She says she’ll get them working, and to meet at the elevators. Luci tells her to hurry; they can’t hold on much longer.

Al tells Sarah to leave with her brother. Trust her. Go. Al closes the door.

Luci. Wen, and June dash for the elevator, and Morgan and Jim come around the other way. Sarah tells them, Al has gone solo. The zombies are there, and Morgan says, ready? Sarah pries the elevator door open, and they run in, the door closing just before any zombies get inside. It’s so effing close, my heart is pounding.

They go onto the roof. Morgan says, it’s clear. Sarah radios Al, but gets nothing. Luci says, she’s smart, she’s resourceful, and she’ll find a way up. Jim looks down to the street, and doesn’t think they want to go down there, even if they could. His hand is bleeding, and June asks what happened. He says he put his hand through a window, and she wants to clean it up before it gets infected. He lifts his shirt, and she doesn’t look happy. She says he didn’t get cut by glass. He has a bite. He tells her, do something. She’s sorry, but there’s nothing she can do. He says, no, no, no, no, no, and everyone looks sick. He asks how long it takes, but June doesn’t know. He stands by himself. I’m wondering if he’s going to jump off the roof.

Morgan tells June that Jim asked for his help. He asked Morgan to save him. June says he did, as long as he could. She says, Al will make it back. They made it there; what’s next? Morgan laughs, and says, she’s asking him? She says he got them there, and he says, that’s right; he did. She asks if he can he get them out. He says he can’t, but she says he will.

Alicia tells Charlie that it’s a little farther. Charlie says they’re hundreds of miles from the coast. They should have kept looking. Alicia says it wouldn’t have made a difference, but Charlie says, they need help. Alicia says, they could be dead. They could find them, find them dead, or die tying to find them. She’s trying to take Charlie to Galveston. She though if could get Charlie there, that would be good. Getting her to the beach; she knows that would be good. Alicia needs something to be good. I can identify. Charlie says she does too. She asks if Alicia hears that. It sounds like water.

Alicia says, it’s not on the map. They come out near John’s lagoon. Charlie says, it’s a beach, and walks to the water. Be careful of that crocodile. Charlie picks up John’s hat. She says, look, and they look across the water. Alicia laughs, and says, holy sh*t.

Next time, Martha shoots at Charlie and Alicia, June says they’ll find a way down, and Wen isn’t sure if they’re all right, but they’re still kicking.

🎥 The episode was dedicated to Dwayne Haevischer. He worked in the transportation department of many films, including three of my favorites, Planet Terror, Death Proof and Machete. You can read more about him here:

📣 Tonight’s Talking Dead guests were the mega talented Tonya Pinkins (Martha, FWD), Lou Diamond Phillips (who has been directing FWD this season), and Sinbad (!), who apparently is a super fan. It was a lively discussion, but I mentioned it just to say that Ms. Pinkins cleans up well. She would be unrecognizable as being the Crazy Lady aka Martha. She was just gorgeous.

💍 A Couple of Couples…

A quickie about 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days (where the delusional meet), since I can’t contain myself. Jesse paid a visit to Darcey in the US, and it was a bickering hell. Remember Fantasy Island? This was just the opposite. It boggles my mind that these two are still together, albeit off again/on again. Their anger is palpable during the interviews they do together. They spent a couple of days in NYC, which neither one of them enjoyed, then stayed at an Airbnb in Connecticut. Darcey’s girls met Jesse in Manhattan, and also spent time at the rental. Jesse insisted on calling Connecticut CT, which is fine if you’re addressing something, but normal people don’t talk like that. Darcey said their chemistry is magnetic, and Jesse said something about a connection, so I can only assume it’s the sex. Or they get some weird S&M satisfaction out of it. These two just do not get along. It was pretty funny when she threw a Louboutin at him though.

The other couple I’d like to touch on is Ricky and Melissa, who is now Ximena. No, she’s not a trans person, but Ricky came to Columbia looking for Melissa’s love, and ended up finding it with second choice, Ximena, when Melissa ghosted him. Ricky is totally out of touch with reality, since Melissa was freezing him out before he even left the States. She did show up for dinner – three hours late – but what he said was having chemistry, was basically a mercy date. Ximena on the other hand, seems to be an open, lovely person, attractive, but not in the bombshell way Melissa is. Ricky’s first mistake, thinking he was in Melissa’s league, and an explanation as to why Ximena was second string. Which led to his second mistake, calling Ximena Melissa in what, no doubt, was an intimate moment. But instead of doing the hard, but noble thing, by explaining things to her – hint: she will see the show anyway – he told her it was a member of the crew. He made a couple of feeble attempts to tell her, all of them ending in him making something else up. I just kept thinking, what an idiot. All the things she’s thinking whenever he says, I have something difficult to tell you, are so much worse than what it is. But since he waited so long, he did make it worse. Tonight, he finally told Ximena that he’d originally come there to meet Melissa. To her credit, Ximena didn’t crack him one across the face. Although she did call him a bullsh*t artist, and said she never wanted to see him again. I do kind of feel sorry for him, since he seems to care for her, but sorrier for her. Then again, it’s hard to feel sorry for people who think they can fall in love in five minutes, especially when they can barely communicate.

For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone. – Audrey Hepburn
