General Hospital

Brook and Austin clean up giftwrap, and Britt says, from the look of pure glee on his face, Leo couldn’t have liked Austin’s gift any more. Austin says, it was just a video game about marine biology, so how could he resist. Olivia says she’d thank him, but he might be responsible for them never seeing their son again. Austin says, actually, he should thank them. It was kind of them to let him stay here last night. Olivia says, no one should be alone on Christmas, especially family. Austin and Brook leave to throw the wrapping away, and Ned says, not to sound… What’s the opposite of generous? Olivia says, selfish, and he says he thought they were having an intimate Christmas dinner. The staff is off. Did they prep enough food for a guest? She asks him to form that sentence again, and he says, did she prep enough food for a guest? She says, relax. Monica is still under the weather, and made it clear she’s not coming down for dinner. So they split the Christmas goose five ways instead of four. There’s always room for one more. Remember that. The doorbell rings, and Ned says, they’re not actually having goose, right? Olivia opens the door to Cody, who says, they have a bit of a situation.

Maxie, Obrecht, Britt, and Nina are at Nina’s penthouse, and Britt says, thanks for the loot, but she has to jet. She’s sorry she missed Sonny. Obrecht says, called away to work on Christmas day; it’s unfortunate. Nina asks if Britt is sure she can’t stay, but Britt says, no time. She has the Polar Bear Pledge, the soup kitchen, and then she’s hearing Brad sing with the PC Gay Men’s Choir. Maxie says, that’s quite a Christmas, and Britt tells them to have a wonderful Christmas. She hugs everyone, and Obrecht says she’ll walk Britt out. In the hallway, Obrecht says, Britt doesn’t have to do this, and Britt says, do what? Obrecht says, act like it’s her last Christmas with them. Huntington’s or not, she still has many more years ahead of her. Inside, Maxie says she should get going too. The roads are a mess, and she doesn’t want to miss her flight. Nina says, oh no. She wanted to check in with Maxie. How is she doing? She knows Christmas is a tough time for a break up, but Maxie says, it was a good thing. She and Austin are not meant to be. Nina says, it’s still okay to be sad about it, and Maxie says she is, but it helped spending the morning with James and Bailey, and this motley crew. Now she’s going to Portland to see Georgie. Her Christmas just keeps getting better.

Georgie asks if Ellie likes her present, and Ellie says she loves it, but Georgie coming to visit was the only present she needed. Georgie leaves to try on her new sweater, and Ellie thanks Spinelli for bringing Georgie. She can’t tell him how much she missed her last year. He says, Ellie helped raise her. You’ll always be her third parent, even if we are no longer a we. He thanks her for allowing Maxie to join them tonight. It’ll mean a lot to Georgie. She says, just Georgie, huh?

Sonny comes to the garage, and asks if anyone is here. Sasha stands up from behind a motorcycle, and he asks what she’s doing here.

Outside Elizabeth’s house, Scotty gets hit with a snowball. He makes a snowball of his own, and says, all right, you little animals, here I come. Inside, Elizabeth looks at family photos on the mantel, and focuses on one of her, Finn, and Violet. Cameron comes downstairs, and asks if everything is okay. She says she’s great, and he says, it’s just that she’s been very quiet about everything that’s happened between her and Finn. He wants her to know she can talk to him about anything, and she says she knows, but she’s fine, she promises. She asks if Josslyn is stopping by, but he says, no. Her car’s still busted from last night. Elizabeth says, that’s too bad. It’s probably for the best though, with the shape the roads are in. Nobody should be behind the wheel today.

Laura goes to Jordan’s office, Jordan says, sorry to pull her away from her family. Laura says, comes with the territory, but nobody knows that better than Jordan. It was so bad out there, she had to walk here. Jordan says, last night’s storm was intense. Snow is completely covering sections of Harborview Drive. Add that to the ice damage to all the other roads surrounding the city… Laura says, it’s just a disaster, and Jordan says, and on Christmas. Laura says, a lot of people will be having an unhappy holiday because of this.

Nina says, Maxie has one more present, when Maxie looks at her phone, and says, no. She can’t believe this is happening. Her flight was canceled. She’s not going to get to see Georgie for Christmas.

Ned asks, what’s going on? and Cody says, Harborview’s totally blocked off. No one’s getting out of their main gate, unless they plan on walking. Olivia says, luckily, everyone who’s here was planning on staying here for the foreseeable future. Cody says he just wanted to give them a heads up, and Olivia asks what his plans are for the day. He says he was going to hit up Beradino’s for their holiday menu, but that’s obviously shot. No big deal. He’ll scrounge something out of the fridge. Olivia says, he’ll do no such thing. He’s staying right here. They’ll figure out something with the food. Cody says he doesn’t want to impose, but Olivia says, it’s not an imposition. Right, Ned? Back her up here. Ned says, the more, the merrier.

Britt tells Obrecht that she knows it’s not her last Christmas, but she won’t be able to live life to the fullest. Obrecht says, despite the old adage, it’s unwise to live every day like it’s your last. Racing around, desperate to check things off a list. Nein. Live every day as if it’s your first. You’ll never lose sight of all the magic and wonder around you. Britt hugs her mother, tells her, merry Christmas, and leaves. Obrecht says something in German.

Sasha says she didn’t mean for Sonny to come out here on Christmas. She thought she disarmed the security system. He asks if she comes here a lot, and she says, no, but the garage is being sold soon. And Brando’s New Year’s resolution for 2022 was to finish his bike by 2023. Sonny says, time’s almost up, and she says she thought since she used to work in her neighbor’s garage, she could figure it out. He says, not so much? and she says, not so much. He says, all right, and takes his coat off. She asks what he’s doing, and he says, she’s not the only one who can work on engines, and rolls up his sleeves. She says, no. He should be with Nina today, and he says, he’ll get to that, but he thinks if they work together, they can do this by dinnertime. Hand me that wrench.

Olivia brings Cody into the living room, and tells Brook and Austin that Cody will be joining them tonight. She tells Cody to help himself to a drink, and make himself comfortable. She goes into the foyer, and Ned says, he hates to keep harping on this… She says she knows. They don’t have enough food. (Which I find really hard to believe.) She says she’ll whip up a lasagna. It’ll probably be boxed noodles – she crosses herself – but what are you going to do? He tells her that he thinks they’ll survive, she kisses him, and runs off. He goes into the living room, and tells Cody that Leo will be thrilled to see him. Austin tells Brook, and just like that, he was replaced. She says, horse wrangler trumps doctor, and he says she must be thrilled. He knows she was never his biggest fan, so he’s guessing she’s over the moon that he messed things up with Maxie. She says, he was trying to be everything to everyone, told a white lie or two, and it got away from him. It happens to the best of us. He asks why he gets the feeling she’s including herself in the us, and she says, because she is.

Spinelli says, of course (🍷) he wants Georgie to spend time with both her mothers, but Ellie says, that’s not what she meant, and he knows it. He says he apologizes for the whirlwind nature of this visit, but he might even have time to meet that new suitor of hers. She says, new being the operative word. They’re not even official. Funny, he used to live in Port Charles… A tablet rings, and Spinelli calls to Georgie, saying, her mother is video calling her. Georgie runs out, and tells Maxie, merry Christmas. She misses Maxie. Maxie says she misses Georgie too, and Spinelli says, Maxie is cutting it close. Her flight leaves in a little over an hour. Georgie says, please don’t be fashionably late, and Maxie says she’s so sorry, but her flight got canceled, and she won’t be able to make it in until tomorrow. Georgie says, but tomorrow’s not Christmas, and Maxie says, she knows, but she’ll be there before Georgie knows it. Georgie says, it’ll be too late. Don’t even bother. She stomps off, and Spinelli says he’ll talk to her. Maxie asks him to tell her how sorry she is, and he says, it may not seem like it at the moment, but she knows.

Obrecht comes back in, and asks, why the long faces? I desperately want to make a horse joke, and Nina says, all the flights from PC International have been grounded. Maxie says she’s not going to be able to see Georgie for Christmas. She needed this. More important, Georgie needed this. She failed George. Obrecht gives a short laugh, and Maxie asks if Obrecht just scoffed at her. Obrecht says, and she’d do it again. Such a defeatist attitude. That’s not the Maxie Jones she knows. So Maxie’s flight has been canceled; there are still other options to explore. Mark her words. They’re getting Maxie to Portland to see her daughter komm hölle oder hochwasser (come hell or high water).

Scotty comes in, and says, those kids are like wild animals, and Elizabeth tells him, watch it; those kids are her boys. He says, they want him to go sledding with them, and Cameron says, why doesn’t he? Scotty says, because he doesn’t want to start the new year in traction. Cameron suggests he take over, and Scotty says he’ll slip Cameron a twenty later. Cameron leaves, and Scotty asks, which one of those good-for-nothings is Elizabeth moping over? Finn, her father, or perhaps she’s taking a little from column A, and column B. He tells her to sit, and says he wants her to know that he and Laura are worried about her, but she says she’s fine. She’s spent most of her Christmases without her parents. It never used to bother her. He says, now things have changed. So what’s the difference? She says, for the first time, it doesn’t seem like there’s a gap or a pause. This time their absence feels final.

Olivia tells Ned, the lasagna’s in the oven. Let’s just hope it’s enough. He says, because if it isn’t, Luigi’s isn’t open on Christmas, and she says, do not even put that out in the universe. This night is going to be nothing like Thanksgiving. He says, she doesn’t really believe all this universe nonsense, right? and the doorbell rings. She says, God will get him for that, and opens the door to TJ and Molly. TJ says, they’re sorry for barging in like this. They were out caroling… Molly says, but Harborview is blocked; there’s no way to get home. TJ asks if it’s okay if they hang out here, just until the road’s unblocked. Olivia tells them to get inside now. Make themselves comfortable. She tells Ned, God will get him good, and follows them into the living room.

Nina tells Maxie, that was her business manager, and the hangar they use for across the border for Crimson is still operational. And apparently, there are some private jets just hanging out there, just waiting to be used. Is there any chance Maxie knows someone who owns a plane?

Ellie asks how Georgie is, and Spinelli says, she’s not happy. She’s at that tough age; old enough to know there are things we can’t control, and still young enough to believe mommy can move mountains. Ellie says, to be fair, Maxie is quite formidable, and speaking of, he did a nice little dodge before, but she knows him better than almost anyone. He’s fallen for Maxie again, hasn’t he? He says, now is neither the time nor the place, but he was hoping getting together as a family make things right between them. Clearly it’s not in the cards. She says, it’s not like him to give up so easily, and he says, it’s not like he can change the weather in Port Charles. She says, maybe not, but Christmas is a time for magic and miracles. So what does he say they make some happen for Georgie?

Brook’s phone rings, and she asks Maxie, what’s up? Maxie says she has a problem, and she’s hoping Brook can help her. Her flight to Portland was canceled. She can still get there. She just needs a private plane from the Toronto hangar. Please tell her one of those planes has Brook’s family’s name on it. Britt says, let her see what she can do.

Cody says, not much has changed. Olivia is still mother to all the misfits. She tells him, like she said to Austin, no one should be alone on Christmas. He says he appreciates it. Let him know if there’s anything he can do to help. The doorbell rings, and she says, he can get the lasagna out of the oven. She wonders, what now? and opens the door. A young pregnant woman wearing a blue wrap is standing there, and Olivia says, holy mother of God. The woman says she’s sorry to barge in on their holiday. She was part of a live nativity scene, and the car won’t start. Not that it matters, since the roads are blocked anyway. Would it be possible for her to wait here until a Ride Share can take her home? Olivia says, of course (🍷). Come in. This must be stressful for her. She must have a houseful of people waiting. The woman says, no one actually. This is their first, and her husband’s working the plows today, so he’ll probably be late. Olivia says, she was planning on spending Christmas all alone? and the woman says, technically, she has company, but Olivia says, no, no, no, no. She’s staying right here. She’s eating Christmas dinner with them. The woman asks if she’s sure, and Olivia says she wouldn’t have it any other way. Go into the living room and introduce herself, and make sure she puts her feet up. The woman says, Olivia is so kind, and thanks her. Cody wonders where Olivia wants the lasagna, and asks, what’s wrong? Olivia says, they’re gonna need a bigger lasagna.

Sonny says, they’re getting there, and Sasha says, it would have taken days without his help. Britt knocks at the door, and asks if they’re open. She walks in, and wonders what Sasha and Sonny are going here. Sasha says, long story. Britt? Britt says, in typical her fashion, she ignored the warnings about the roads. Her car spun a few blocks away. Sonny asks if she’s okay, and she says, the only thing bruised is her ego. Sasha says, the garage is closed, but Britt is welcome to call AAA, assuming they can get here. Sonny says, that’s assuming a lot, and Britt says, this is not how she wanted to spend her last Christmas in Port Charles. Sasha says, last? Is she going somewhere?

Austin says, Brook seems a little tense, and she says she is. Maxie needs to get to Portland, but all of the commercial flights have been grounded. She’s trying to hook maxi up with her family’s private jet that flies out of Canada, but apparently, there’s a mile long line at the border. Even if she were to brave the roads, it could be hours before she takes off. He says, if she bothers to use the roads, and Brook says, something’s going on in his head; what is it? He asks her to tell Maxie to get to the pier as soon as she can, and he’ll take care of the rest. He calls Mason, and says he’s done everything Mason has asked him to do, and asked nothing in return. Now he is. He needs Mason to send a boat to the pier in Port Charles. He needs to get somebody he cares about to Canada without the hassle of border security.

Jordan thanks someone on the phone, and says, she and the mayor appreciate it. She tells Laura, those needing medical attention have been airlifted to the hospital, but there’s been no reports of serious injuries or fatalities. Laura says, it’s a Christmas miracle. What did they say about the roads? How quickly can they be cleared? Jordan says, the plows are out, but it’s going to be tough. Laura says, tough, but not impossible. Let’s get it done. Jordan says, got it, and Laura leaves.

Maxie wonders what’s taking so long, and Obrecht says, patience. Maxie says, that’s not her strong suit, when her phone rings. She asks Brook to tell her that she has good news, and Brook says, the jet is all hers, but she’s taking a boat to Canada. Maxie asks, why? but Brook says, there’s no time for questions. Just get her booty to the pier, and give Georgie a big squeeze when she sees her. Maxie thanks Brook, and says she owes her. She tells Nina and Obrecht that she guesses she’s going to the pier, and Obrecht says, she’ll escort Maxie. Nina says she’ll come with Maxie, but Maxie says, Sonny is coming over, and they need to spend Christmas together. She hugs Nina, and leaves with Obrecht.

Everyone gathers in the living room after dinner, and Ned asks Olivia, who is the incredibly pregnant young lady? Olivia says, just another guest for dinner, and he says, this is getting ridiculous. She says, it’s a little on the nose to say there’s no room at the inn. It might not be the incredibly intimate Christmas they planned, but it’s the Christmas they’ve got. Capisce? He says, capisce, and she says, her arrabbiata sauce was apparently a big hit, and he says, she made her lasagna with her arrabbiata sauce? and she says, she found some left over in the ice box. He says, that sauce is incredibly spicy, and that is an incredibly pregnant woman, but she says, even she’s telling him, that old spicy food thing is an old wives – the woman says, oh my God, and looks down – tale.

The woman says, not now, not here, and Olivia tells Ned to get some blankets, pillows, and towels. Cody says he’ll call 911, but Brook says, there’s no way they’re going to get here with all the road closures. The woman says, this isn’t happening, and Olivia says she’ll talk her through this. Brook says she pretended to give birth, and Olivia says, not helping. Ned comes back with the linens, and they situate the woman on the floor. Molly says, TJ is a doctor; he can help deliver the baby. He says he’s never done it before, but he can figure it out. Austin comes in, and asks if this is what he thinks it is, and Olivia says, another doctor. Teamwork makes dream work. Get going.

Scotty says he knows Elizabeth is a little down, but here’s the good news. She says, there’s good news? and he says, she’s the most resilient girl he’s ever met. She takes the cards that are dealt her, and she never complains… almost never. Look at the home she’s made for the kids. They feel loved and safe. For that, he respects her, and salutes her as well. She thanks him for saying that, and he says, Jeff is a fool not to see what a great daughter he’s got. Even though Franco’s gone, she’s still a Baldwin. Never forget that. She says she won’t, and they hug.

Austin tells the woman that she’s doing great. He asks TJ to watch her for a second, and TJ tells her, keep breathing like they talked about. Brook says, she’ll go get some ice, and in the foyer, Cody asks Austin, what’s going on? Austin says, this isn’t going to be easy, and Cody says, that’s obvious, but he delivered Maxie’s baby, right? Austin says, Maxie’s baby wasn’t breach, and Cody asks if that wasn’t something the mother would have known, but Austin says, not necessarily if the baby’s flipped recently. If they were in a hospital, all kinds of options would be available, including an emergency C-section. But here, what this woman needs is a trained OB.

Britt tells Sasha that she has no immediate plans to leave, but she has a job interview in Boston. Please don’t tell anyone. Sasha says, Britt’s secret is safe with her, when Britt’s phone rings. She asks what Cody wants, and he says, merry Christmas to her too. He knows she doesn’t want to hear from him, but he’s at the Quartermaines’ with Austin and TJ. She says, congratulations, and he asks her to just listen. The Virgin Mary is giving birth today; like, right now. She asks how much eggnog he’s had, but he says he’s not drunk. Austin takes the phone, and says, there’s a woman here. She’s in labor, and the baby’s breach. It’s not his level of expertise, and he needs her to talk him through this. She says, this woman needs a hospital and a specialist, and he says he agrees, but thanks to the weather, it’s not an option. Neither a car nor an ambulance can get through these roads. Sasha and Sonny get the bike started.  

TJ tells the woman that she’s doing great. Deep breaths; in through the nose, out through the mouth. When you exhale, try focusing on relaxing an area of the body. She says, he wants her to relax? and Brook says, they thought Thanksgiving was dramatic. Mr. Wattles’ got nothing on this situation. Molly says, Mr. who? and the woman screams.  

In the foyer, Olivia says, the baby’s breach? and Austin says, there’s a pretty substantial chance something’s going to go really, really wrong. Ned asks what they can do, and Austin says, TJ can treat the mother post-birth, but they need to get this woman to a hospital on foot. Olivia asks if it’s safe, but Austin says he doesn’t know what else to do without a trained OB. They hear tires screeching, and Britt comes in with Sasha through the patio door. She says, sorry about Monica’s begonias, but she heard there’s a baby that needs delivering.

Elizabeth says she didn’t think Laura was going to make it, and Laura says, it was an eventful day, but she thinks it’s calming down now. Elizabeth asks if Laura would like some tea, but Laura says, she’s okay. She asks how Elizabeth is holding up, and Elizabeth says, since her not so happy reunion with her parents? She’s okay. She wants to be okay. Laura says, she will be, and if Elizabeth needs support, she’s here. They hug.

Britt says she knows this isn’t how the woman envisioned this to go down, but she seems to be made of tough stuff, and has three MDs to coach her through it. The baby is a little upside down at the moment. The woman asks if that’s dangerous, and Britt says, no. It just means she has to push extra hard when Britt gives the word. The woman has a contraction, and Britt says, here we go. Push. The woman screams.

Maxie tells the clerk at the airport check-in that she needs to get to Portland; Oregon, not Maine. He says, this is Edmonton, Alberta, and she says she knows that, but her daughter is in Portland, and she promised they’d be together on Christmas. He says he understands her dilemma… but she says she doesn’t think he does. First, her flight gets canceled. Then she has to take a super shady boat to a super awesome private plane, which has to land because of the weather. Now she just needs to know when she’s getting back in the air. He says, there’s really no way of knowing with the storm. No one is taking off tonight. He’s sorry. He gives her a candy cane, and says, merry Christmas. She sits down, and says, merry Christmas.

The baby cries, and the woman says, that’s a good sign, right? Britt says, it’s a great sign, and hands her the baby, saying, meet her little girl. The woman says, she’s perfect. Hello, baby. It’s your first day. So much wonder for you to see. She tells Britt, live every day like it’s your first, right? Molly asks if she’s thought of a name yet, and the woman says, Noelle seems appropriate, all things considered. Olivia says, it certainly does, and the woman asks what Britt’s name is. Britt tells her, Britt. It’s short for Britta. The woman says, Britta Noelle. It has a nice ring to it, doesn’t she think? If she doesn’t mind of course (🍷). Britt says she doesn’t mind at all.

Brook says, in all the commotion, she didn’t get a chance to thank Austin for what he did for Maxie. Austin says, of course (🍷). He really wants Maxie to be happy, even if she’s not happy with him. Brook tells him that she’s not saying she was wrong about him, but he might have some redeeming qualities she might have overlooked. He says, thanks; he’ll take it. Jordan comes in with an officer, and TJ asks what she’s doing here. She says she was dealing with the roads when she got a call about an incident at the Quartermaine’s, and the woman tells Britta Noelle that the incident was her. Jordan says she sees that. Here she was, worried about missing Christmas with TJ, but from the looks of it, he kept quite busy. Molly says, TJ was incredible, and Olivia says she thinks they all earned a gold star today. TJ says, Dr. Westbourne in particular, and asks Jordan if traffic is moving. She says, slowly, but yeah, and he says, they should probably get out of these guys’ hair. Ned says, after the day they’ve had, he thinks it’s only fitting they all stay, and they celebrate together. Britt asks if he’s sure, and Olivia says, positive. Jordan says, it sounds wonderful, and there are hugs all around. Cody and Britt exchange looks.

Scotty asks what Laura and Elizabeth think of his dance moves, and Elizabeth says, they were… Laura says, smooth, very smooth. Scotty says, they’re secretly laughing at him, but Laura says she’s enjoying him. He’s a terrific grandpa. He says, she’s no slouch in that department either. Elizabeth says, all this time, she was focusing on the parents who weren’t there for her, when she should have been focused on the people who were. The people who have always been by her side; the people she’s always needed. Sonny tells Laura that he thinks she’s talking about them, and they have a three-way hug, as Cameron comes downstairs. He smiles.

Maxie leaves a voicemail for Spinelli, asking why he’s not answering his phone. Call her. Spinelli and Georgie walk into the airport, and he says, Maximista? Georgie runs to Maxie, and she asks what they’re doing here. He says, he knew they wanted to see each other. The plan was to fly into Canada, and drive to Port Charles. Maxie says, great minds think alike. And Georgie is the best Christmas present ever. She hugs Georgie, and thanks Spinelli. He says, it’s nothing, but she says, it’s everything. He’s always been there for her, through all of it. She doesn’t know what she’d do without him. He says, she’ll never have to find out, and they, too, have a three-way hug.

Ellie’s phone rings, and we see it’s Griffin Munro, who I continually think is dead. She says, hey you. Merry Christmas.

There’s a knock at Nina’s door. She drags Sonny in, and kisses him.

There’s a knock at Elizabeth’s door, and Scotty opens it. Obrecht dances in, holding mistletoe over her head, and he kisses her.

At the Quartermaines’, Cody looks at Britt. She looks away, and goes to the window.

At the airport, Spinelli eats pizza, while Georgie shows off her new sweater to Maxie, and they talk and laugh.

Deck the Halls plays while we see the once-a-year full credits.

General Hospital

Bobbie arrives at Sonny’s with Brad Lucas and Wiley. Sonny holds him.

On the phone, Sam says she doesn’t know who’s using her alias. She sent an email, and got an even weirder response. The call gets cut off. Alexis is at the door, wondering where Sam is. Sam had to drop the kids off, and is running late. Alexis says she has to ask Sam to make her apologies. She won’t be able to watch Sam become Wiley’s godmother.

Chase meets Willow at Charlie’s, He thinks it’s an interesting choice for a second date. She tells him it’s the closest he’ll get to her making him breakfast. Not that they… She tells her students, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Chase says, and if the date doesn’t work out, the rest of the day is still salvageable. She says she’s free all day; they’re on break. He promises to make sure no parents are lurking around, but she’s already checked. It’s a parent-free zone.

Valentin tells Nina, good morning. She says, it’s better than good.

At the MetroCourt, Maxie leaves a message for Nina. They had a breakfast meeting; where is she? It had better be super important. Peter approaches the table. He says they haven’t set a date for diner yet, and suggests tomorrow night. She says she’s washing her hair; what about Saturday? He agreed to meet someone at the mall that day. She gets a message from Anna, and tells Peter that Obrecht is being transferred to Pentonville. It must make his day.

Obrecht is brought into the interrogation room. She says she’d rather wait in the snow, and Finn asks if that’s an option. She asks Anna if she’s come to gloat at the woman duped into saving her ill daughter who was never ill. Anna says Obrecht did save her. Not the way she’d planned, but Britt is free and out of prison. Finn shows her proof. Anna appreciates Obrecht’s concern for her daughter, and she’s sure Obrecht appreciates her concern for her son. Jordan says the van is ready, and if Obrecht is thinking about another escape, think again. It will never happen. Obrecht says a famous doctor, a legendary spy, and a decorated officer. You’d think they’d have learned never say never.

Sonny jokes that Wiley can always stay with him as the godfather. Brad asks Carly if that should make him nervous. Josslyn comes in, calling it a hipster baptism, and Michael says, it’s a naming ceremony. A celebration of Wiley and his place in the family. The house phone rings. Josslyn answers. She tells Sonny Julian is there.

Alexis tells Sam that she has to appear in person for a case. Sam says she’s sure they’ll understand, but she could have just called. Alexis says she wanted to see Sam, then admits she wanted to see Kristina. Sam says she’s not there. Alexis asks if they talked about her, and how mad is Kristina? Sam says they didn’t talk about her, and on a scale of one to ten, it’s from an eight to an eleven. Alexis says she didn’t accuse Kristina of anything. Sam says it’s not a good idea to jump to conclusions, but understands why Alexis has reason to mistrust Kristina. She sees it from both sides. She doesn’t want to get stuck in the middle, and Kristina doesn’t want her advice any more than she wants Alexis’s.

Nina tells Valentin that she has to… She looks at her phone, and realizes she’s ridiculously late. He tells her to stay. She’s going to have to apologize anyway. Nina says at least she gets to come home to him. She’s accepted he’s her home. Valentin says she’s his. She says, even though Sasha is in Chappaqua, she’s still in her heart, and she has Valentin to thank. She’ll thank him forever for bringing them together.

Peter knows Maxie’s feelings toward Obrecht are conflicted. Maxie says, that’s an understatement. Obrecht deserves to go to prison, but Maxie also understands she acted out of grief. Nathan’s death was too much for her, and she has no family or friends to turn to. So she’s not surprised Obrecht flipped out. Peter says it sounds like she’s still struggling. She says Obrecht is also Nathan’s mom, and she knows, no matter what, Nathan wouldn’t want his mother going to prison. She’s James’s grandmother. What is she supposed to tell him? Peter’s phone rings. He says it’s not important.

Jordan tells Obrecht that they’re well-aware of what happened last time, but Obrecht says she was a helpless prisoner; a victim of an unfortunate accident. Jordan says, unfortunate for the two guards. She’s lucky they survived. Obrecht says that’s more than can be said for her son. Nathan is dead. The chain of events was set in motion by Anna’s son, and he was never punished. Anna says, he was; Obrecht saw to that. Obrecht asks who she thinks she’s fooling. This is about Anna getting back at her; not justice. Finn says it is about justice. She had a right to grieve, but not take revenge. Them bringing her back was legal, and she’s going to stand trial. Hopefully, she’ll be convicted, and that will be justice.

Julian asks what Lucas is doing at Sonny’s. Lucas says, he doesn’t know? Julian says, looks like a family celebration. Sonny tells him not to make trouble, and he says he’s there to pick up Avery. It’s Ava’s day, and with all that’s happened, she thought it best if he came. Sam walks in. She didn’t know Julian was on the guest list. He explains again why he’s there. Sonny says Ava is in no condition, but Julian says she loves Avery as much as he does. Sonny thinks Avery should be celebrating with her family, and not dealing with Ava’s grief. Carly says, it’s not Avery’s job to make Ava feel better. Sonny says she’s just a child. Josslyn finds Avery, who’s been listening, and wonders if she’s done something wrong.

Avery asks if her mommy is still sad, and Julian says, a little; she misses Avery. Avery asks if she’s sad about Kiki, and Michael says they’ll all be sad about Kiki for a long time. Carly asks if Avery wants to see her mommy, and Avery says she does. Carly tells Sonny, it’s what she wants. Sonny says she can’t be alone, and Julian says he’ll be there. Carly takes Avery to get ready. Julian congratulates Brad and Lucas. He leaves to wait for Avery. Michael needs some Wiley time, and Lucas gives Wiley to him.

Bobbie thanks Sonny for not having Julian thrown out, like he deserves. He thought she was into peaceful coexistence, and she says, it’s easier from a distance.

Chase asks if Willow is finished Christmas shopping, and she says she hasn’t begun. She likes the last minute thing though. He tells he that’s a sign of mental illness, but she says she likes the energy, music, and decorations. Chase says, parking and long lines. She tells him that she doesn’t have much of a list. He says his mom is Christmas crazy. Their house is like the mall the entire month. Willow says Christmas wasn’t a big deal for her growing up; long story. He says he has the time, and would like to know.

Maxie tells Peter about a serious conflict over James’s Christmas outfit. He’s totally distracted, and she asks if something is wrong. He says there’s something he has to do, but he hasn’t forgotten about dinner. She says the week is full of Christmas parties, and he says he wants it to be special. Maybe they should wait until after the holidays, and do it right. He promises it will be worth the wait.

Brad tells Julian he would have invited him if he could have. This day wouldn’t have happened without him. Julian is just glad he and Lucas have their son. Brad says they both know that’s not entirely true, and Julian says he has to stop torturing himself. All that matters is that Wiley is where he deserves and needs to be. Avery is ready to go. Sonny takes her to Julian.

On the phone, Nina says, it’s completely unforgivable; there’s no excuse. Valentin comes in, and asks what’s wrong. She asks him if he thought he could fool her forever. Did he think she’d be so crazy in love, she’d never find out the truth? How long as she been blackmailing him? Valentin says Obrecht is crazy, and Nina says Obrecht told her everything. How he got a stranger to masquerade as her daughter. Both Valentin’s and my heart sink. How he faked the DNA test. How he used her deepest, darkest pain to get her back in bed. She slaps him. He’s only been fantasizing, and walks in again.

He asks Nina, what’s unforgivable? and she says she is. She blew off her breakfast meeting with Maxie. Valentin and I both breathe a sigh of relief. She tells him she’s not even sorry, and kisses him.

Jordan tells Obrecht, next stop, Pentonville. Obrecht tells her, so she says. Peter comes in, saying he’s here for Obrecht. Obrecht says she’s about to go to prison, but he says, there’s been a mistake. Anna says they have plenty of security this time. He says he wants to make a statement before there’s a terrible miscarriage of justice. Jordan says they have his signed statement. He said Obrecht drugged him, kept him tied up in a cabin for weeks, and left him to die in a fire. He says, that time was overwhelming. He was hallucinating, and in the throes of a fever. He couldn’t distinguish fantasy from reality. Finn says the only hallucinations he was having were from the drugs Obrecht gave him. Anna says they have the surveillance tape, but Peter says, that proves nothing. They need his statement. Without it, they can’t send her to prison. Anna asks what he’s doing. He says, the more he thinks about it, the less he can trust his memories. Jordan says his DNA was in the cabin. They pulled him out of the fire at Windymere. He was dehydrated and malnourished, and had bruising consistent with restraints. He says he was in the cabin, because Obrecht wanted him to write another book in Nathan’s memory.  She kept him alive while they tried to make sense of Nathan’s loss. They have to let her go.

Nina tells Valentin she loves him. She isn’t standing in the way of their happiness anymore. They’re spending Christmas together. Maybe Sasha could come for Christmas Eve, and they could spend it as a family. He’s given that to her – a family. It’s the most important gift. He tells her there’s something she has to know.

Willow says her childhood was unconventional. Her mother was a free spirit, who raised her alone. She often had to work on Christmas Eve, Christmas day, or both. He thinks it’s sounds lonely, but she says they were a team. He asks if she has other family, and she says they’re not close. He reminds her of the flyer for grieving parents she had in her car when they met, and asks if she knew someone who lost a child. She says, as a teacher, she tries to keep up with things that might affect her students and their families. Anything else, detective? He says he didn’t mean to interrogate her; he wants to get to know her.

Julian brings Avery to Charlie’s. Her mommy isn’t feeling well, so she’s taking a nap. Avery says, no nap, but he says, not her. Her mommy is taking a nap, and she’s going to help him run the place. He makes her his assistant manager. He says she has to make sure his customers are happy. She runs to Chase and Willow’s table, and introduces herself.

Bobbie has never been asked to preside at a naming ceremony before, and thinks it’s fitting that the first time should be her grandson. He has the perfect name, and he couldn’t have a better role model than Sam. She’s honored to be chose to be Wiley’s godmother, and promises to do whatever she can to help him make his way in the world, and love him unconditionally. When he gets lost, just look around and know she and his godfather will be there. Lucas thanks Michael for agreeing to be Wiley’s godfather.

Michael says it’s a gift to be a part of Wiley’s life, and he fell in love with Wiley the first time he saw him. He’s a reminder of everything good in the world, and if he can be an extra pair of arms to hold him, he’s honored to be Wiley’s godfather. Bobbie welcomes Wiley Cooper Jones to the family, and hopes he cherishes his name as much as all of them will always cherish him. Josslyn says every important occasion needs an accessory, and puts a Hello, My Name Is… tag on him. Brad takes a picture of Lucas and Wiley.

Willow introduces herself to Wiley. Chase says they’ve met before. He asks if she remembers him bringing her home when she spent the night with her grandfather in the stable. Julian comes over to apologize, but Chase says, no problem. Julian says she’s there until her nanny comes. She’s in charge of customer satisfaction. He asks if she wants to taste test the cocoa. She leaves with Julian, and Chase says kids seem to chase Willow.

Anna asks Obrecht what she has on Peter. How did she get him to change his story? Jordan says Peter signed his new statement in front of the DA. Without his testimony they just have circumstantial evidence. She has no choice but to release her.

Nina ask Valentin what it is. He says he was given a new beginning. He wants that more than anything, but if they’re going to start with a clean slate, he has to be honest. He’s made mistakes. His phone rings. She says ignore it, but he says he can’t. It’s Obrecht. She tells him that Peter recanted his testimony, and she’s a free woman. She’ll keep her word, and no one will ever know he passed off a counterfeit as a long lost daughter. Merry Christmas, Heir Cassadine. Nina asks who that was. He just half-smiles.

On the terrace, Josslyn asks Michael why every happy moment makes you think about the people who aren’t there to share it. That’s a good question, but it’s probably because you notice they’re not there. He says, it goes with the territory. That’s why they have to hold on to happy moments. She says, like every moment she has with Oscar, and every moment he has with his godson. He looks though the window at Wiley.

The nanny comes. Avery says she had fun. Julian says he did too. He takes her outside. Chase checks his watch, and Willow wonders if he’s bored. He says she might be on vacation, but the PCPD doesn’t get a holiday. She says, duty calls, and he says, unfortunately. She tells him that she’s sticking around to do some Christmas shopping, and he says, in that case, he’s a medium. She says, don’t get your hopes up, and he says, too late.

Valentin tells Nina that was Santa Claus. She asks why he’s smiling, and he says, her. He was a clever fool; knowing what he wanted, and how to get it. Then she came along. He has her now, and he’s never letting her go. They kiss.

Maxie sees Obrecht, and asks if she escaped, and is hiding in plain sight. That’s not going to work. Obrecht tells her, everything is all right. All the charges are kaput. Maxie asks what happened, and Obrecht says, Peter revised his statement. He’s 100% sure that she didn’t kidnap and torture him.  He realized a deeper truth happened in the cabin. Someone must have appealed to his conscience. She’s grateful, because now, she has all the time in the world to get to know James.

Jordan has to confirm with the warden that she won’t be transferring Obrecht. Unless Peter is changing his statement again. Peter hands her the paper, and says, justice has been served. She says not from where she’s standing. Anna asks him to wait. Finn says he’ll make some calls. Anna asks why he did it. His entire life has been built on hatred. He was either trying to please his father, or running from his legacy. Coming that close to death taught him there’s another way to live, and his nephew has shown him innocence still exists. Maxie has shown him there’s room for forgiveness. He tried to be the man Nathan would have wanted him to be. She asks if his forgiveness is only for others, or is there a tiny bit left for her?

Sam comes home, and opens her laptop. She writes an email to Linda Black. Thanks, but no thanks. I don’t need any help.

Nina says she’ll never get to work. He says he’s never letting her go. She says, what a coincidence. She’s never going to leave.

Anna tells Peter she’s having a Christmas Eve party thing at her house, and he’s invited. If he wants to come. She jets, and he ponders.

Obrecht looks at pictures of James. She can’t wait to hold him again. She wishes that Nathan… Maxie says, life can be horribly unfair. James will never know his father, and Michael will never know his baby. His and Nelle’s baby was stillborn. Obrecht says, really? How dreadful.

Lucas thanks Sonny and Carly for hosting. It’s a day he’s never going to forget. Josslyn says she’s available for babysitting. Lucas thanks Michael for stepping up. Michael says, hopefully the day will never come, but God forbid Wiley is ever in his care, he promises to treat him like his own son.

Chase gets a call from the station. Julian looks at the picture of Lucas and Wiley on his phone. Willow sees it, and tears up. She and Chase leave. She looks back at Julian, who looks pained. Is she the birth mother whose child really died?

Tomorrow, Jordan wishes she had better news for Stella, Bobbie says they have a Santa-sized problem, and Mike is waiting for his best girl to show up.

🍲 On tonight’s Top Chef, the contestants were to create a traditional French Christmas dinner, where chef Eric Ripert was their guest. Baking is often not a chef’s forte, and they all seemed to get hung up when it came to dessert. Eric called their desserts offensive, and Tom summed up the episode rather neatly. They all messed up, they know they messed up, and they didn’t do anything about it.

🍷 Andy Cohen is having a two-part special on Watch What Happens Live. The first part of O Come OG Faithful aired tonight, and Part Two will air on Sunday at 11:30 pm. The fun included a trip down Memory Lane, iconic moments, catch phrases (bloop!), games, and plenty of shade. Teresa, Kyle, Ramona, Nene, and Vicki were the guests, while Vicki’s son Michael bartended. Bethenny was also listed in the TV Guide, but I have no clue what happened there. It was a good time, but I wish it could have been a little longer.

🎄 Since I have a lot of Christmas goings-on, I’m not sure what will be up with tomorrow. For sure, I’ll be bringing you Z Nation, if not tomorrow, on Saturday, but GH might be very encapsulated. It remains to be seen…

General Hospital

Ava can’t believe that Julian is moving in with Alexis. When she said Alexis shouldn’t be here, she didn’t mean he should go there. Ava says Alexis is a hopeless drunk and can’t take care of him. Julian says she’s a drunk because of him. Pretty astute for Julian.

To prove their point, Alexis is throwing them back. The best part of waking up is vodka in your cup. Kristina comes down looking for a sweater. She asks if Alexis is sick and Alexis says she thinks she’s coming down with something. Yeah, an eventual hangover. Kristina says she knows what’s really wrong.

Kiki runs into Dillon while she’s picking up breakfast at Kelly’s. She wants to talk to him about what happened at Crimson.

Franco pounds at the bars of the cage, wishing that this was part of the dream. Elizabeth calls, but he can’t reach his phone.

Finn tells Hayden that if she wakes up now, he’ll give her a present early. Tracy comes into Hayden’s room with a cactus, saying Hayden left her plant with Dillon and he managed to get a cashmere sock…but we never hear the rest because she asks how Hayden is doing. Inquiring minds want to know.

Franco tries to move the cage closer to the phone. This actually looks like it’s possible, since it moves pretty easily. Elizabeth leaves a message about their plans for the evening. Naomi runs into the hospital looking for Hayden.

Finn says Hayden’s temperature is back up to 101.3. He wants Hayden to wake up to a tree. Tracy asks if he thinks Hayden is going to wake up at all. Naomi comes in and asks if her daughter is dying.

Kiki apologizes to Dillon for slapping him, and Dillon apologizes for what he said about Morgan. He says he should have respected her feelings. She says she thought he was manipulating her, but realized that he really cares, and that’s why he asked Nina to offer the position to her. He tells her merry Christmas, the subtext being, bye Felicia.

Molly says Alexis isn’t that hard to read, and she’s having empty nest syndrome. Kristina says she doesn’t have to leave right now. Alexis says she’s fine, but the holidays are going to be hard on Kristina’s father and he’s going to need her. She says she needs this time to get ready for the bar association hearing anyway. Alexis says if Kristina leaves anything, she’ll have an excuse to come over. Kristina says if she didn’t know any better, she’d think Alexis was trying to get rid of her.

Ava asks Julian if the addict doesn’t need to take responsibility for what they’ve done. Julian says that Alexis would never be in this position if it wasn’t for him and believing he’d changed. He says she made him believe he was worthy of stability, family and love, and he repaid her by dragging her into the gutter with him. He promised her a better life, and there’s still a chance to do that. Ava wonders if it’s the meds talking or he’s delusional. He says the love they shared doesn’t just disappear. Ava says how can he help her when he tried to kill her, but he tells Ava that he would have never gone through with it. He could have fooled me, and probably the rest of the GH viewers.

Tracy asks Naomi if she isn’t supposed to be in prison. Naomi says they weren’t that interested in her after finding out about the diamonds, and her attorneys cut a deal. She asks what’s wrong with Hayden, and Finn says she was exposed to some rare bacteria. He explains that he’s been using a drug that keeps the symptoms at bay, but her organs are experiencing failure. He tells Naomi that he’s made a serum from lizard DNA that he thinks might be a cure, and he just administered it.

Franco gets out of the cage when I look away for a millisecond. He calls Elizabeth. He asks if she’s all right, and she says she just left him a message. He says he’s been really busy, but saw she called and figured he’d just call her back. She says the boys are looking forward to tonight, and asks if they’re still on. He says Christmas is his favorite holiday. After he hangs up, Franco says that he’s going to see Tom first. He calls Tom’s parole officer, saying he’s from Uber, checking to make sure if Tom had alternate transportation since he wasn’t there for the pick-up. The officer says he never showed, and Franco tells him that the trip still has to be paid for.

Ava asks Julian if he wants her to tell him how moving in with Alexis is going to work out. She says whatever the two of them shared, it’s past the point of no return. Alexis doesn’t love him. She’s tried over and over to destroy him, and Ava doesn’t want him hurt again. Julian says he can’t live with the way things are right now. Ava says she can’t be part of it, and tells him good luck; he’s going to need it.

Alexis says she can’t wait to see Kristina’s new place, but this is her home and she’ll always be welcome there, and even if she’s not living there, Alexis is still her mom. Kristina says she feels like she’s abandoning Alexis, and Alexis says she’s living her life like she’s supposed to, and moving in to her first apartment is a great accomplishment. Alexis tells Kristina that she can use the peace and quiet, but Sonny will need her.

Valerie approaches Dillon at Kelly’s, and he asks her to sit down with him. He tells her that the night they spent together was the best night he’s had in a while. Kiki overhears and gets all teary outside, because she wants it both ways. Dillon tells Valerie that he’s happy when he sees Kiki, and then remembers she thinks he’s a jerk He says she thinks he’s a stalker, and they can’t even talk to one another. He believes the best thing to do is give up.

Alexis wonders what she did last night. The doorbell rings. It’s Julian. He says, honey, I’m home.

Franco calls Kiki. He asks if she’s all right. She says she’s fine, but he says she doesn’t sound fine. She tells him that she’s just being stupid and emotional. He says he’s just checking in and wishing her a merry Christmas. He asks if she’s going to be with her mom, and she says she’s on her way. She asks if he’s spending Christmas with Elizabeth and the kids, and Franco tells her that he has something to do first.

Naomi asks if Finn is some kind of quack. She says she’s calling security, and Tracy says the only one they’ll remove is her. Tracy explains how Finn worked around the clock to make the serum and needs it himself, but gave it to Hayden. Naomi threatens to call anyone and everyone to keep Finn away from Hayden, which seems really stupid after what Tracy just said. Hayden wakes up and says Finn can’t leave. He says he’s not going anywhere.

Kiki arrives at Ava’s, bearing breakfast. Ava suggests exchanging gifts after they eat. Kiki says she might come tomorrow too. Ava says that would be great since she doesn’t have Avery. She tells Kiki that she also planned a trip to the city to see her mother, but Kiki says she wouldn’t be the best company. She’s bummed because she keeps running into Dillon.

Franco visits Heather. She tells him that she doesn’t know what Elizabeth told him, but she wasn’t anything except cordial. He asks if she talked to Elizabeth, and Heather wonders why Elizabeth didn’t tell him. He says he’s been locked in a dog crate.

Finn asks Hayden how she’s feeling, and she says not too bad, considering. He tells her that her vitals have stabilized and her organs aren’t failing anymore. Naomi says she was going to wait until Christmas to surprise her, but she got the surprise when Elizabeth called to tell her Hayden was so ill. Elizabeth pretends she has something to do, but Hayden thanks her before she leaves.

Heather thinks Franco did what he needed to do, and is embracing his true inner self. He tells her he doesn’t know where Tom is, and no one knows who he might target next. Doesn’t he still have that GPS thing on Tom’s phone?

Julian brings his stuff to Alexis’s house. Alexis says she’ll fix up the couch. Julian says he doesn’t want her to go to any trouble, and she says isn’t that why he’s here? He says he wants to help her, and she suggests he leave then. She makes sure he knows he’s sleeping on the couch and he makes an inappropriate joke. She says if the ethics board finds out he’s there, she’ll be in trouble. He tells her that he’s innocent in the eyes of the law. She says she wants her license and life back, the life she had before he destroyed it. She tells him that no one can come in the house except the two of them until he’s out of there. She asks how long he’s staying, and he says until the healing is done. Hmm… I’m not so sure he only means his physical healing.

Ava asks Kiki why it’s so bad to run into Dillon. Kiki says ever since Morgan died, she’s been a mess, and Dillon has gotten caught in her mood swings. She tells Ava that she wanted to apologize, but Dillon couldn’t get away from her fast enough. Now he’s with Valerie. She can’t expect him not to move on, but it’s tough.

Dillon tells Valerie that his and Kiki’s relationship will never be what he wants it to be. Valerie says even though she broke up with Curtis, it’s hard to see him around town. She says they always seem to be involved with people they can’t have.

Heather says maybe Franco convinced Tom to leave town. Franco says he feels like a changed man, and wants to show the world. Heather cautions him not to tell Elizabeth what he did. She says Elizabeth is never going to be good enough for him. Franco says she always reminds him why she’s there. Heather says she speaks the truth, and being true to one’s self can often be costly. He says Elizabeth believes in him, and knows he can be better. Heather says it’s not going to last when she finds out. She’ll think he’s no better than her rapist.

Finn tells Hayden that the serum worked, and she’s going to be okay. Naomi says she was afraid she’d lost Hayden. Tracy says Finn just found a cure for an incurable disease, and Naomi apologizes. He says thanks and get out; Hayden needs her rest. Naomi leaves, and Tracy tells Finn it worked for Hayden, now what about him? Finn and Hayden smile at one another.

Julian asks Alexis for an ice pack. Ha-ha! I almost typed ice pick. While Alexis goes to the kitchen, Julian’s phone rings. He talks about Rodge convincing him to drop the van thing. He says he’s done everything he’s been asked, but the only reason he’s doing it is for the sake of his children.

Kiki tells Ava that she’s not in the holiday spirit, but Ava doesn’t want to leave her alone. She says Grandma Delia would be disappointed not to see her. Kiki’s not budging, and Ava says okay, but Kiki would probably feel better away from Port Charles.

Dillon thanks Valerie for listening.

Kiki talks to herself, saying she doesn’t just want to sit around and mope. She sends Dillon a text, and he says, now that’s an idea. He knows what he’s going to do.

Finn tells Hayden that he brought her something, and shows her the cactus with decorations on it. She says, Best. Christmas. Ever. and he says, maybe. He tells her that she was cured from an incurable disease, brought Tracy to tears, made a truce with her sister, and her mom is out of prison. He says they’re stuck with each other.

Franco goes to the hospital and tells Elizabeth that he needs to talk to her.

Alexis overhears some of the conversation, and asks Julian who he was talking to.

Tomorrow, Christmas at Sonny’s, Emma might get her Christmas wish, and Valentin invites the family to Windemere.
