General Hospital
Holly says she doesn’t know Sonny well, but Luke held him in very high regard. He says, the feeling was mutual, and Holly says, that’s why she’s here. Any friend of Luke’s is a friend of hers. He seems unsure if that translates into doing business. He says, she dropped Luke’s name right away, so she must be in some kind of trouble.
Anna calls Jason and tells him that Sidwell was spotted in Miami. He needs to watch out.
Anna goes to Robert’s office, and he says, she knows. She says, he has another daughter.
Isaiah finds Lucas in the breakroom, and says, they have surgery tomorrow. Is he ready for it?
At The Savoy, Ric says he received a call from Judge Orvis, and he’s ruled in Heather’s favor. He’s vacating her conviction. Trina asks what that means, and he says, tomorrow, Heather is a free woman. Portia says, no. She knew it would happen. Ric says he never intended for this to happen. He wanted to present the new evidence to the court. That’s it. Curtis asks what he thought would happen, and Ric says, that Heather would be relocated to a minimum-security facility or sent to a mental health center. Curtis says, he exceeded his goal, and Ric says he never thought the judge would vacate her sentence. Portia says, he knew, but didn’t care, and Ric says, Heather is no longer suffering from metallosis. Portia says, so she’s not a threat, and he says, that’s the professional medical assessment. Portia says, Heather murdered five people trying to get to Trina. She thanks him for unleashing the monster that put her daughter’s life at risk.
Robert says, Holly told her, and Anna says, Holly came to see him. If she thought she was going to get sympathy or that she’d run interference with Robert, she was wrong on both fronts. Anna says she knows that makes her a hypocrite, but he says, it’s nothing like her and Robin. She says she thinks Holly would disagree. To be fair, she did lie, but she finds this appalling. He and Holly have so much history, and he’s a wonderful father. Why hide his daughter from him? He says, Holly thought he was dead, and Anna says, what about when she found out he was alive? He says, her intent wasn’t to hurt him, and she says, he’s going to forgive Holly, isn’t he?
Holly says she has delicate merchandise to move and needs Sonny’s assistance. Luke isn’t the only person they have in common. Did Jason mention their heroic adventures in Africa? Sonny says, Jason told him that he brought Lucky home, but he doesn’t recall Jason mentioning her. Holly says, Jason is a man of few words, and Sonny says, they both are. She says she’s glad, since that means they agree on discretion. She prefers to keep their negotiation between them. He says he still doesn’t know what the negotiation is, when Diane comes in and stops short when she sees Holly.
Isaiah says, it looks like he and Lucas had the same idea. Bobbie’s was closed, so he came here to review his notes. Lucas says he’ll get Isaiah after hours status. Bobbie Spencer was his mother. Isaiah says, his mom is a legend at this hospital.
Portia asks what Ric has to say for himself, and Ric says he’s spent time with Heather. He got medical proof. He had her blood work tested at several labs, and the overwhelming consensus… Curtis says, he’s not in the courtroom, and Josslyn tells Dex, they should go. He leaves with her, and Ric says, this isn’t what he wanted. Curtis says, he wanted a check. How much are they talking about from a civil case about Heather’s faulty device? Her vacate will help win the settlement. Ric says, that’s a separate issue, and Curtis says he believed Ric because of his relationship to Molly. He never thought Molly’s father was capable of unleashing a murderer on his daughter for profit. Molly says, blaming Ric isn’t the answer, and Curtis says, if Ric isn’t to blame, who is?
Sonny asks what he can do for Diane, and she says she was in the neighborhood and that she’d pay a routine social visit, but she sees he’s otherwise engaged. They can catch up later. Lovely to see Holly. Holly says, her too, and Diane leaves. Holly says she can guess where Diane is headed, but Sonny says, it’s none of his business. She asks if he socializes with this attorney, and he asks if she wants to conduct business. She says she’s keen on securing the transaction, but needs assurance, and he says, it’s more important to her than to him. He’ll consider helping her, but tell him what he has to do for her. She dumps the diamonds on his desk (funny, they don’t sound like diamonds), and Sonny picks one up.
Anna says, no matter the years, Holly’s priority has always been Holly, and Robert says, Sasha would agree. She demanded a paternity test. She’s desperate to prove she’s not his kid. Anna asks if he thinks Holly lied, and he says, why take a chance on something that’s easily proved? What would be the point? To hurt Sasha? To hurt him? Anna says she doesn’t see what could hurt him more than the truth.
Lucas says he studied portal vein thrombosis in med school, but Isaiah has performed transplants that involved it before. Isaiah asks Lucas to walk him through his strategy. How does he plan to perform surgery on his sister and cousin?
Molly tells Curtis and Portia that no one understands more than she does. Her office prosecuted the case, but if an appeals judge hears it, it’s up to the judge as to what justice looks like from the facts presented. This is not on her father. TJ says, he didn’t have to be Heather’s lawyer. He didn’t have to take the case. He walks off, and Ric and Molly start to follow. Curtis asks if Ric has filed suit to collect his blood money, and Ric says he’s sorry this happened. He leaves with Molly, and Portia says, it’s an absolute nightmare. Curtis tells Trina that she’s coming home with them, and Trina tells him, thanks, but there’s no way she’s moving back home.
Back at his apartment, Dex asks if Josslyn is okay, and Josslyn says, Heather being released was not the news she was expecting. She can’t believe it. He says, Trina’s parents are shaken up, and she says, of course (🍷). Trina is the reason Heather committed those insane acts. He says, she didn’t succeed with Trina or Josslyn, and Josslyn says, thanks to him and Britt. He says he wishes he’d gotten there sooner. Britt would still be alive. She asks if he ever thinks… wishes he’d killed Heather, and he says, all the time.
Portia says she thinks it would be safer if they were all at home together under one roof, and Trina says, strength in numbers? Curtis says he needs Trina where he can protect her, and Trina says she knows he wants to keep her safe and she wants to be. Heather being released isn’t her choice, but she spent a year being terrified and letting Esme and Heather control her. She refuses to go back. She’s going home to her apartment.
Lucas tells Isaiah, it wasn’t his choice. His sister asked him, and Sam is hard to say no to. Isaiah asks if he’s nervous, but Lucas says, no. Isaiah will be doing the heavy lifting. Which begs the question, why is he the surgeon? Why did he sign on to a transplant that has a very high likelihood of failure? Isaiah says, the same reason. Lucky asked him to. Lucky is his best friend and if Lucky’s sister has a shot in hell of making it through this, she’s going to need him. He’ll see Lucas in the morning. He leaves.
At the apartment, Molly says, Ric should go before TJ comes home, but he says he doesn’t want to leave her alone. She says she’s used to it. He’s been their most recent excuse to run from each other. He says he’s sorry and thanks her for defending him. She didn’t have to. She says she knows. He didn’t have to take the case. He says he didn’t mean to hurt anyone, but the law is the law. She says she’s sure his motion was brilliant, and he says, now Heather is going free. She says she prays he’s right and she’ll be a functioning member of society. Either way, it’s too late for regrets. He thanks her for understanding, and she says, but it’s not too late for dropping Ava as a client.
Robert says, it breaks his heart that Sasha is praying he’s not her father, and Anna says, it’s not personal. She doesn’t know him. He says he knows her. The minute she walked in, he knew she was his daughter. Anna asks, how? and he says, she has his mother’s eyes.
Holly tells Sonny, there’s no record of the diamonds. No serial numbers, no way to trace them. If they’re moved, they can’t be tracked. He says, somebody had them before her and they’ll want them back, and she says, hence the desecration and speed. He asks who she’s running from.
TJ comes into the breakroom and tells Lucas that the hospital is a better option than home. Lucas says, work provides distraction, and TJ says, it figures Lucas would bust him for running away, but Lucas says he moved to another state to avoid the mess of his life. If TJ wants to hide out, go ahead. TJ says, at least it’s not a bar, and Lucas says, if he’s here, he can do good and make patients well so they can go home to their families. TJ says he’s avoiding his, and Lucas says, at least he’s not at a bar.
Molly says, Ric took Ava’s case, but he could easily cut her loose. Ric says, why? and she says, maybe because Ava is the reason her baby is dead, but he says he doesn’t believe that’s true. She asks if he wants to debate the cause, and he says, that’s why he can’t drop the case. He’s doing it for her.
Holly tells Sonny that she prefers her valuables to be liquid. She’s in a rush to get out of Port Charles for personal reasons. He says he doesn’t usually handle diamonds. He’ll have to make some calls. She asks if that means he wants to do business, and he says he may be able to help her… on one condition. He gets a sizeable cut.
Anna asks if Robert is all right and he says he will be. She says she needs to follow up on something, and he asks if it’s okay if he’s the one to tell Robin. She says, of course (🍷). Robin always wanted a sister. She leaves.
Dex says he wants Josslyn to be safe, but she says, there’s only so much he can do. He’s a cop now. He says he’s not like other cops. He’s been in combat. He’s killed before, and some people need to be stopped. She says, Heather is one, and he says, if Heather thinks of hurting her, it will be the last thing she ever does.
Portia says, they should force Trina to come home, but Curtis says, she’s an adult and trying to regain control of her life. Portia says, she can’t if she’s dead, and he tells her, don’t say that. She says, it could happen. Clearly, the justice system cares less than Ric. It’s infuriating, and she wonders if Ric would be as blasé if Molly was in danger. Curtis says he doesn’t see how a judge can’t tell Heather is a danger, and she says she wants to ask him if Trina was Josslyn or Molly if the decision would be the same. If a young white woman was the obsession of a serial killer, and not a young Black woman, would Heather be going free?
There’s a knock at the apartment door, and Trina gets a mallet out of the kitchen. She asks who it is, and it’s Gio. He says he thought he’d come by and see if she was okay. She lets him in and says she thought she was, but she’s not.
Diane goes to Robert’s office and says, he’ll never guess who she saw together. He says, try him, and she says she went to Sonny’s office, and when she saw what she saw, she made it clear that she was only there for a social visit, so no attorney/client privilege. He asks what she saw, and she says, Sonny meeting with Holly.
Holly says, define sizable, and Sonny says, 30%.He’s taking the risk. She says she risked her life for them, and he says he can’t move them. Why here? She says she hopes this business transaction is the first of many. She wants to get the relationship off on the right foot. He laughs and says, she’s something else. Beauty, charm, and that accent… She’s not his type. He needs time to consider it. She tells him, don’t take too long, and takes out a diamond. She says, a deposit, in good faith, and hands it to him. She leaves and he looks at it.
Lucas tells TJ that Sam was adamant that he be her surgeon, and asks if Molly has said anything about him operating on her sister. TJ says, Molly doesn’t share much with him these days. He’d say they’re drifting apart, but she’s pulling away. Lucas says, grief is tricky. It can bring people closer or do the opposite. TJ says, Molly wasn’t not there when they cleared the nursery. She wasn’t there when they picked out the burial plot. Lucas says, TJ still feels alone, and TJ says, tonight felt normal. They were at a party for his granddad. Long story short, Heather Webber is going free and Ric Lansing made it happen. Molly defended Ric and he saw more emotion from her defending her father than from anything they’ve been through. She was present and focused, and she hasn’t been there for him once since their baby died.
Ric says he’s doing it for Molly, but Molly says, it makes no sense. Ava is responsible for her child’s death. Ric says he thought she blamed Kristina, and Molly says, Kristina shouldn’t have gone to Ava’s room, but only one person fell out the window… Two, Kristina and their baby. For that, she needs Ava to pay. He says, that’s what scares him. The vengeance she feels is him, and not what he wants to see in her. His mistakes were driven by his need to get what he was owed. He’s been learning to distinguish when it’s destructive. She says she thinks he’s confusing vengeance with justice, and he says, call it what she wants, but it’s poison. She asks what she should do. Forget what Ava did to her child and call it an accident? He says, it’s his job as a lawyer and a father to present the facts of the case and make her believe it was an accident. He has to prove it to her so she can move on and heal.
Josslyn says she knows Dex would protect her against anything, but don’t wreck his life. Britt died and she would have been next. She’s alive because of him. He says he promises he’ll do what it takes to keep her here, and kisses her.
Gio sees the mallet and says, Trina means business. Josslyn and Dex filled him in on Heather Webber. He doesn’t know how she’s keeping it together. She says she realized she hasn’t been. It seems easy to say, her mom is overreacting, and act mature, saying, let the court decide. It seemed impossible that Heather would ever go free. She killed five people and gets to walk away, probably with a big payoff.It feels so wrong. Gio says, people like them and what she’s feeling are why music and art exist, and she says, like them? He says, sometimes the only way he can express his feelings is through music. He thinks it’s the same for her.
Curtis says, they both know the answer. Sometimes life is not fair. Portia says, a young Black woman is not valued the same way a young white woman is. It makes her want to scream. He says him too, but right now he’s focused on protecting Trina. He could hire a security guard to stand outside the apartment. She says, it’s not enough, but he asks what options they have. He can get a bodyguard. Trina would hate that, but he’ll do it. She says, what Trina wants and what Trina needs are not necessarily the same thing. Heather’s grandson is here, and she’ll want to stay near him. Heather and Trina can’t be in the same city. They’ve got to send Trina away.
Molly says, if Ava isn’t held accountable… Ric says, her baby died for no reason. She says she can’t live with that. She barely talks to TJ about anything deeper than who’s making dinner. It’s the most empty house he’s ever been in because it was about to be so full. Now it’s not and they can’t see through to the other side. They’re stuck in this horrible in-between with no baby and a marriage hanging by a thread. In what world should there be no consequences? He says, it’s nobody’s fault, and she says she needs him to leave. Please go. He says he loves her, but she doesn’t say it back, and he leaves.
Lucas says he and TJ’s situations aren’t the same, but he does have experience with losing a child. He really hopes TJ and Molly do better. TJ asks if Lucas misses Brad, and Lucas says, sometimes, but he’d never go back. TJ might want to ask himself the same question. If he and Molly don’t make it, how much will he miss her? TJ says he doesn’t want to lose Molly, but he doesn’t know how much more they can weather.
Sonny calls Jason and says, there’s a business proposition he needs to talk to Jason about before he takes it.
Robert says, Holly was in Sonny’s office, and Diane says he doesn’t seem surprised. He says, it’s not the worst thing he’s heard about today.
Holly finds Anna in her hotel room and asks if the Police Commissioner is in the habit of breaking and entering. Anna says she thought it best to catch Holly off guard. It’s about Sidwell. The pilot that brought them back from Africa was killed and the plane was ransacked. Interpol has proof Sidwell is in Miami. Holly says, JenzSidwell is in the US? And Anna says, it’s a long way to come for hurt feelings. She’s guessing Holly took something from him. Stop lying for once. She’ll help Holly, but she needs the truth. Did she steal something from Sidwell? Holly says, no, and Anna says, really? Fine. Have it her way. Don’t say she didn’t try. Stay away from Robert. The last thing he needs is for Holly to make him a target. Anna leaves.
Josslyn and Dex get very busy.
Trina says she appreciates art, but she’s not an artist, and Gio says he was thinking about music. She loves to sing, and her grandpa said she had a gift. Trina tells him that her grandpa has to say that. Does he want her to write a ballad about how Heather freaks her out? He says, or about how all this feels. Fear, hate, confusion, disappointment, whatever is in her, let it out. She says she’ll think about it, but he says, don’t overthink. She yawns and thanks him for checking on her. He asks if she’s sure she’s okay by herself, and she says she’ll be fine. He asks if it’s okay if he crashes on her couch. It feels safer than a big creepy mansion. She says, sure. And she’s got her trusty mallet to protect them.
Curtis says he and Portia share Trina’s feelings and fears, but what is the chance she’ll give up her life in Port Charles? Portia says, they’ll make her see it’s for the best, and he says, her answer will be a refusal, and she won’t be wrong. She asks, what’s the solution? and he says, Trina’s not leaving. Heather is. She says, how? and he says he’ll handle that. Heather Webber is never going to be a problem ever again.
Tomorrow, Portia says, if Plan A fails, she may take Elizabeth up on that offer; Sam says, someone wants something, they always do; and Jack says, if Carly has to ask, she’s not as smart as he thought she was.

Angie said, no one is innocent, but they’re like family, and no one is more important than family. She was going to make the group an offer they couldn’t refuse and invite them to her 25th anniversary party. The theme? Mob wives. I was all in for that.
Whitney apologized to Meredith and told her that she thought it was Lisa spreading the lies about her business. Meredith felt like Whitney was trying to get her to go against Lisa, but she was staying Switzerland.
Jared Osmond showed up at Angie’s anniversary bash, even though Britani had brought another date – the text calling them Jared and Not Jared. Way to mess with her head. Ugh, this guy. She needs to ditch him yesterday.
As usual, the best place for confrontation was somebody else’s party. At Angie’s anniversary bash, Whitney told Lisa that a source of hers claimed it was Lisa who wanted to sabotage her business. No surprise, Lisa got all bent out of shape and started screeching about lawyers and how she was going to sue whoever was spreading this vicious gossip. She demanded that Whitney name names and told Whitney that she was a liar loud enough for the whole room to hear, causing Whitney’s husband to get involved. Then he and Lisa’s husband looked like they were going to get into a fistfight, which was pretty funny, since neither of them looks like the type to get in a boxing ring. Unfortunately, we have to wait until next week to see how that panned out, since it was interrupted with, to be continued.
The best part, for me anyway, was when Heather suggested a group hug between Meredith, Mary, and herself, and Mary made a face like she smelled something bad. She didn’t receive Meredith’s idea of high-fives any more favorably. I love Mary.
Sadly, Michael has made his last martini. He was one of the highlights on the show, even though it was only video calls after his stroke. He will be greatly missed.
Anatomy of Lies was extremely compelling. I was fascinated with this tale of a television writer turned con artist, especially since the only gain was attention. I’m convinced that I’m too lazy to scam people. I can’t imagine having to keep the story straight and, in this case, having to dim down, as Finchie also shaved her head and wore makeup to look sick. There were also those frequent trips to the bathroom to throw up. Yep. Way too much work. She might have continued to get away with it, if it weren’t for her piggybacking on other people’s tragedies and her co-workers realizing she was making like Zelig. This is a definite watch.

Puerto Rico. Nina and Sonny have dinner with Kristina, and she says she has never seen a little girl so wholeheartedly embrace her duties to keep the groom away from the bride on the wedding day. Sonny says, Donna was so determined; did they see her face? Nina says, she was perfect; the whole day was perfect. She’s just sorry Michael, Willow, and Wiley had to leave so soon after the ceremony. Although she gets it. Michael had business back in Port Charles. Kristina says, that’s Michael. Always working on something, right?
Willow carries Amelia into the gatehouse and says, mommy and daddy missed her. Wiley says, Amelia missed the wedding since she’s still a baby, but it was fun. Now Grandma Nina is a grandma twice. Willow asks what he means, and he says, she was his grandma before the wedding; now she’s his grandma again because she married grandpa. Willow looks over at Michael, who’s busy on his phone.
Sam comes into Kelly’s and Carly hugs her, saying, this is such a nice surprise. Is she meeting Dante here for dinner? Sam says, he’s at work, and asks how Drew is doing. Carly says, he’s out of ICU. He’s doing good. Sam says, he doesn’t want Scout to visit him at the hospital, but she misses him. Carly says, he really wants to see her too, but not like this. It’s bad. She asks Sam to take a seat, but Sam says she’s actually not here for food; she’s here for Carly. She hasn’t seen Carly much in the past couple of weeks and wanted to see how she’s doing. She knows what’s going on. Carly asks what she means, and Sam says, Dante told her that Sonny and Nina eloped in Puerto Rico. Carly says, oh that, and Sam says, this can’t be easy on her. How is she doing? Is she okay? Carly says, no, she’s not. Somebody really needs to tell these people what the word elope means.
Lucy sits with Maxie and Blaze at the MetroCourt, and tells Blaze, this will give her whole new level of exposure with the relaunch of The Deceptor and a new line of their anti-aging gels. Maxie says, of course (🍷) not for Blaze; her skin is flawless. Lucy says, it’s absolutely perfect, just gorgeous, but they also have this new lipliner that is so lush that has vitamin C in it. Blaze could actually name the colors. And they have this wonderful new mascara in development, waterproof. You can actually swim in it. Maxie says, it’s a very exciting time at Deception, and Blaze says, and all products are cruelty-free? Lucy says, of course (🍷), cruelty-free, of course (🍷). She loves animals. She had a duck. Blaze says, really? and Lucy says, Sigmond. Maxie asks what she thinks, and Blaze tells them, she’d have to say she’s flattered, even if a bit surprised. Lucy says, so is that a yes? Of course (🍷) she doesn’t want to toot her own horn… Maxie says, watch out. Here comes some tooting. Lucy tells Blaze, all she’s saying is, her instincts are never ever wrong, and her instincts are yelling at the top of their lungs to say, Blaze is a perfect fit to be the New Face of Deception.
On the phone as she packs, Sasha says she understands. She’ll be ready. She lingers over a photo of her and Brando that she’s putting in bubble wrap, when there’s a knock at the door. She opens the door to Cody, who asks, what’s with all the boxes? Is she planning on leaving Port Charles? She says, yes, and he says he doesn’t understand. She just got her life back and she’s going to walk away from it?
Blaze says, the last Face of Deception generated a lot of negative publicity. She’s concerned about attaching herself to that legacy. Maxie says, Sasha does have a troubled past, but there were some extenuating circumstances, and Blaze says, of course (🍷) she’s sorry for what Sasha went through. Lucy says, of course (🍷). So are they, but just because they’re looking for the new Face of Deception, it doesn’t reflect on Sasha at all. Come to think of it, any classic cosmetics company, a lot of them change spokesmodels often. Maxie says, true, and Lucy says, look at Fusion. They change theirs more than RuPaul changes wigs. Maxie says, it’s time for Deception to go in a new direction, and Lucy says, they really do think Blaze is the perfect fit because she’s already a known brand through her music. Maxie says, she’d be working with a successful company in the cosmetics industry, and they’d get access to her celebrity and the millions of fans who love her music. Lucy asks, so what does she say? and Blaze says she thanks them both, and they’ve given her a lot to think about. Lucy says she doesn’t mean to be pushy, but they need to know by the end of the week, and Blaze says, not a problem. She’ll have her manager contact them by the end of the week. Now if they’ll excuse her, she’s got a plane to catch. She leaves, and Maxie says she thinks that went well, but doesn’t Lucy think they’re kind of putting the cart before the horse here? Lucy says, how so? and Maxie asks if she doesn’t think they should have given Sasha some warning before they offered her job to someone else.
Sasha invites Cody in, and says she’s really glad he stopped by. He says, really? Because it sure looks like she was planning on leaving town without saying goodbye to him. She says she’s sorry. She got caught up in packing after she decided to go. He asks why she’s leaving, and she says, because everywhere she turns in this town reminds her of the mistakes she’s made or a person she let take advantage of her. It’s too painful for her to live in Port Charles. She worried that if she stays here, she might get dragged back down again. She feels like she needs to start over someplace new. He asks where she’s going, and she says, Austin (I assume she means the city, not the guy), and he says, Austin, Texas? She nods, and he asks if she knows people there, friends or family? She says, no. She’ll meet people. She’ll make friends. He says, friends like Nina and Maxie? Michael and Willow? Friends like him?
Sam tells Carly that she’s sorry. She probably shouldn’t have brought up Sonny’s wedding. It must be a raw subject for her. Carly says she’s okay… and not okay. It doesn’t mean she hasn’t moved past Sonny, because she has. She’s with Drew and he makes her so happy, and her life is good, and it’s only going to get better when Drew gets out of prison. But she can’t say marrying Sonny doesn’t… It stings.
Sasha says she doesn’t think she’ll meet someone like Cody ever again, and he says, of course (🍷) not. So why is she leaving town? She says, because she’s lost. Ever since she came to Port Charles, it’s been one mistake after another. Starting with working with Valentin to convince Nina that she was her long-lost daughter. Then she got involved with Cyrus Renault who got her hooked on drugs. (Oh no. She got herself hooked on drugs before she met him.) Finally, she trusted Gladys, who took advantage of her when she was at her most vulnerable. She doesn’t know why she keeps making these epic mistakes; putting her trust in the wrong people. He says he thinks he might know.
Lucy tells Maxie, Sasha didn’t deserve any of those bad things that happened to her, they know that. But even if they replace her as the Face of Deception, she’s still going to be a shareholder. She’s still a partner in the company. It’s just that, for the good of Deception, they need a fresh face, one that the customers don’t associate with all those public meltdowns. And she thinks Blaze is perfect to take them in a completely new direction and ultimately, that is going to benefit Sasha too. Maxie says, from a business perspective, she totally gets where Lucy is coming from, but she wishes there was another way. Martin approaches the table and says, another way to what? He kisses Lucy and asks, what’s with the long faces? What’s going on? Maxie says, Deception business, when her phone dings. She says she got an SOS from her mom and her mom is watching her kids. She’ll be right back. She leaves, and Martin sits down, asking, what’s all that about? Lucy says, sometimes the beauty business is anything but glamorous.
Kristina says she knows it was Sonny’s idea to elope, but what was it? What wedding planning moment pushed him over the edge? Was it the thought of a huge 100 person plus wedding, or was it just that they didn’t want to wait a year to be husband and wife? Sonny says he always wanted Nina to have whatever wedding she wanted to have; whatever made her happy. Then he started thinking, why do they have to have a special event? Why can’t they just go to his island, because he loves his island and the staff will take care of everything. Kristina asks, what about Nina? How hard did her father have to persuade Nina to abandon the wedding she was planning, all the guests and everything, and elope? Nina says she caved in less than a minute, and they laugh.
Willow says she didn’t expect Amelia to fall asleep so fast. She thought Amelia would want to stay up with them since they’ve been gone. Michael says, Wiley is so content playing in his room. He loves that toy jet. She says she can’t believe he’s already asking to fly back to grandpa and grandma’s island tomorrow, and Michael says, they’ll see what happens when he finishes his business. She says, of course () she’s happy to be home and be with Amelia, but she’s sorry they had to leave Puerto Rico early; it’s just so peaceful and beautiful there. And she’s disappointed they couldn’t take Wiley to the ocean. She thinks he would have loved to walk on the beach. He promises they’ll go back soon again, and she says, maybe they can coordinate with Sonny and Nina, make it another family trip. But he says he’s too busy planning the ruin of everyone’s lives for that.
Nina says, when Kristina’s dad first pitched the idea of eloping, it took her a second, but she thought, why not? It seems very intimate. And then she said yes, and then she saw Kristina and Michael and Willow and Wiley and Donna, she was blindsided, but in the best possible way. Kristina says, this was an awesome surprise. Not just having her show up, but getting Carly’s permission to have Donna there, and Michael and Willow and Wiley. Sonny has some epic powers of persuasion. He says he does what he can, and she says, he never gave up on Michael, no matter how long Michael gave him the cold shoulder. He says, Michael had a lot of anger, but he let go of it and left the decision up to Willow whether they would come to the wedding. Nina says, and her daughter chose to come to the wedding, which is a turning point for her and Willow. And she owes it all to Sonny.
Michael promises Willow that she and the kids will go back to the island, and if Sonny and Nina want to join them, that’s great. He really wants to show her and Wiley around the island. He thinks Amelia is still a little too young to appreciate it. Willow says, it will still be nice to have her with them. She loves it when the family’s all together. He says, him too. He remembers going there when he was a kid, and those were the happiest times they had as a family while he was growing up. She says, now he wants to pass on that tradition to his own children, and he says he does. He kisses her hand and says he wishes he could stay, but he has to get to this meeting. She says she hopes he does. Otherwise, she and Wiley could be on a beach in Puerto Rico. He never did say who he needed to meet with. He says, some new information fell into his lap, and he just has to confirm it before he takes the next step. She says, sounds important, and he says, if it’s what he thinks it is, it could be a real game changer.
Lucy tells Martin that she feels it’s important for Deception to go in a different direction, especially since the horrible lawsuit has been settled. Time for a fresh start. He says, about that. He can’t tell her how sorry he is. He knows how much it pained her to give up 51% of her company, especially to a person like Tracy Quartermaine. She says, let’s not go with that negative aspect. She can’t help it. It’s a horrible thought and an awful bitter pill to swallow. She has to move on, but she can’t. She’s having a really hard time with this. She doesn’t know how. She just knows she will never ever, ever forgive or forget Tracy. She has to thank karma though, that one day Tracy will get what she deserves, and if she has a chance to push that happening through right away, that’s what she’s going to do. She’s just going to get karma to move Tracy right along. Martin suggests they move to his hotel suite to get a little R&R – room service and relaxation. His phone rings, and he says, perfect timing. Forgive him just a sec. He answers, and Michael says he needs to see Martin in his office right away. Martin says, really? It just so happens he’s in the middle of something. Michael says, it’s in Martin’s best interest. He recently discovered that Martin made a serious mistake, and he’s going to give Martin exactly one chance to make things right. It’s now or never.
Carly thanks Sam for checking on her, and says she really appreciates it, but Sam has so much on her plate. She heard what happened with Sasha. She can’t believe what Gladys did to her. She never trusted that woman ever. Sam says, Sasha is doing as well as can be expected, and Carly says, she’s been through hell. Carly has been in Ferncliff, and it’s your worst nightmare. Sam says she knows and Gladys taking advantage of Sasha’s guardianship is disgusting. She’s glad Sonny ran her out of town. Carly says, she’s lucky that’s all Sonny did, and Sam says she’s sure Sonny made it very clear that Gladys can never set foot in Port Charles again, let alone ever come near Sasha. Carly says, she’d better not. There’s no reason for Gladys Corbin to ever come back to Port Charles. Sam says, Sasha is finally free of Gladys. Thank God.
Cody says he really think Sasha is being too hard on herself. She’s human. Humans make mistakes; hundreds if not thousands a year. If they didn’t, life would be perfect, but it would also be completely boring. Trust him. He knows what he’s talking about. He’s pretty much the king of messing up. He’s made monumental, ginormous mistakes that were selfish and stupid. If there’s a mistake to be made, he’s made it, because he’s made them all. She says, name one, and he says, not going after Gladys sooner, but she says, that doesn’t count. He was protecting her. He says, how about him working for Selina Wu? Not exactly a smart decision. She says, he tried to make some money. Not the best person to get involved with, but still, he tried to do a job. He says, she’s just determined to see the best in him, isn’t she? and she says, that’s because she owes a lot to him. And she really wishes he’d see himself the way she does. Honestly, so far, he hasn’t mentioned any mistakes that were really all that bad. He says, okay then. Here’s a doozy. How about the fact that his biological dad is actually here in Port Charles, and he lied to him, convincing him that he’s not actually his son?
Sasha says, if Cody’s dad lives here in town, why would he lie about it? and Cody says, because he’s an idiot? She tells him not to say that, but he says he doesn’t know how else to describe his decision. When the DNA results came back at GH, he lied right to his dad’s face, when he was holding in his hand the test results that said Mac Scorpio is his biological father. She says, the Police Commissioner Mac Scorpio? and he says, yeah, that’s the one. She says, Maxie’s stepfather? and he says, same guy. She asks, how? and he says, it’s a long story, but essentially, Mac never knew that his mother was pregnant with him. She says, okay, but why not tell him now? and he says, Leopold Taub, his mother’s late husband… He thought if he could prove that he was Taub’s son, he could possibly get a lot of money. It’s not important now. It had something to do with the WSB destroying the Ice Princess necklace, which belonged to Taub. She says, so that’s it? He lied about Mac being his dad because of money? He says, no, that’s not the only reason, and she says, then why? She doesn’t know Mac all that well, but all Maxie ever does is talk about what a great guy he is, and how he’s always been a father figure to her even though he’s not her biological dad. Cody says he knows. That’s the thing. In what world does a grifter like him deserve to have a great dad? Mac is honest, he’s loyal, he’s hardworking, he’s selfless. Not to mention, he’s a cop. Why would he want a troublemaker like Cody as his son? The reality is, he doesn’t deserve to have Mac as a father.
Maxie comes back and asks, where’s Martin? and Lucy says, her Marty always has a full plate. He got an important business call and had to dash. Maxie suggests they get back to the Face of Deception, and Lucy says, okay, but she thought it was all settled. If Blaze gives them the thumbs up, then they do replace Sasha, but she still retains all her shares, which is a win-win for everybody. Maxie says, maybe not, and Lucy asks, what’s the problem? Maxie asks if she forgot about Tracy, and Lucy says, if only she could. Maxie says, whether they like it or not, Tracy owns the majority of Deception. This is kind of a big business decision, so she thinks they need to run it by her. Lucy says she’s not going to bow to that woman. Tracy certainly isn’t the boss of her. She may have 51% of their company, and 1% of Lucy’s precious ELQ, but that doesn’t mean she has to ask Tracy’s permission to make a sound business decision. She doesn’t. Because they need to take Deception into a new direction, starting with a fresh new face. Maxie says, Lucy is kind of acting like this is a done deal. Blaze has not signed a contract yet. She wants to think about it. Lucy says, so? She really does have a good feeling about this, but Maxie says, you know who’s not going to have a good feeling about this? Sasha. She thinks they should tell her. She’s not only their business partner; she’s their friend. Telling her is the right thing to do.
Kristina walks into the chapel with her champagne and looks out at the view. Blaze joins her, and says, fancy meeting you here. Kristina asks, what in the world is she doing here?
Wiley wonders why grandpa and grandma didn’t fly home with them, and Willow says, they had to come back early because his dad had a work emergency, but Grandma Nina and Grandpa Sonny stayed behind because they’re now on their honeymoon. Wiley asks, what’s that? and Willow says, it’s a vacation you take after you get married. He says he doesn’t get it. Why do you need a vacation after you get married? Does it make you that tired? No, kid, but marriage does.
Nina says, it’s beautiful here. She can see why Sonny loves it so much. It’s a perfect place to have a wedding and to spend their honeymoon. He says he loves it here. It’s always been his home away from home. She thanks him for sharing it with her, and he says, she’s his wife now. They share everything; the good, the bad, the happy, the sad. They’re going to share it all.
Martin walks into Michael’s office and says he does not enjoy being summoned. And he likes being threatened even less, so unless Michael knows something he doesn’t, he has no business here, with Michael or Aurora. Michael thanks him for coming and says he assures Martin that he didn’t imply any threat. He’s just telling Martin the truth. Martin says, about what? and Michael says, that Martin made a terrible mistake when he turned Michael’s mother and Drew Cain in to the SEC for insider trading.
Sasha can’t believe Cody would say something like that. Any man would be so proud to call Cody his son, including Mac Scorpio. Look at what he did for her, and that was after she stabbed him. He says, there were extenuating circumstances. She didn’t think she was stabbing him; she thought she was stabbing Cyrus Renault. And that’s just because Gladys and that unethical… Dr. Montague were drugging her. She says, it doesn’t matter. He sacrificed his freedom to help her. He wasn’t afraid to go after Dr. Montague. What he did was so incredibly brave. He says, no. She was the brave one. She went back in that hellhole where they were drugging her against her will. Montague was basically torturing her, and she did all that to stop him. She says, he calls it brave, she calls it desperate. Putting Montague behind bars and freeing herself from Gladys were just things she needed to do in order to get her life back if she was ever going to have one. Now that she does, she needs to start from scratch. He says, someplace else, and she says, yes.
Sonny says he was going to ask Nina about the turquoise bracelet. Is there some significance, because he’s never seen her wear it. She flashes back to Willow giving her the bracelet and telling her that Harmony gave it to her on her 16th birthday. According to Harmony, turquoise is supposed to bring peace, luck, and protection. Nina tells Sonny that he’s right. He hasn’t seen it because it’s brand new, and it’s incredibly significant because it’s a gift from her daughter.
Martin says he has no idea what Michael is talking about. And even if he did, this isn’t a courtroom and Michael certainly isn’t a judge. Forgive him, but he’s under zero obligation as to Michael’s allegation. Michael says, Martin can tap-dance around the issue, but he already knows Martin is the one who contacted the SEC and suggested they investigate Drew and his mom for insider trading. Martin says, regardless of who made the phone call, the simple fact is, Mr. Cain was found guilty. As to why Drew chose to be the fall guy for Michael’s mother, he has no idea. Let’s be honest. She was the real guilty party. If anyone should be in prison… Michael says, his mom made a mistake. She was just trying to help him and Drew, but the merger between ELQ and Aurora never happened. His mom didn’t make any money. Hell, she lost her half of the MetroCourt, so breaking the law didn’t count. In most cases similar to his mom’s, the SEC would have just walked away, but there’s someone behind this case, pushing it to go forward. He knows it wasn’t Martin’s idea to contact the SEC. He was just working on his client’s behalf. His client used him to put maximum damage on Michael’s family; to his mother, Drew’s daughter, Michael’s siblings, his uncle. Martin’s actions caused a lot of pain, a lot of devastation to a lot of people. That’s why he called Martin here, because he’s giving Martin a chance to save himself. He’s giving Martin a chance to make almonds amends.
Willow says, and for dessert, chocolate pudding, one of Wiley’s favorites. Wiley thanks her, and says, Grandpa Sonny and Grandma Nina should have had chocolate pudding at their wedding. Willow says she’s glad he had such a good time at the wedding, and he says, it was really fun. He loves Grandpa Sonny and Grandma Nina so much. She says she’s glad to hear that, and he says, she loves them too, right? She says she loves their whole family.
Kristina says, Blaze is here, right? She only had two glasses of champagne, three now, at her dad’s wedding, so she knows she’s not hallucinating. Blaze says, it’s her, and Kristina asks how she’s even in Puerto Rico. When they were texting earlier, all Blaze said was they should hang out when she was back in Port Charles. Blaze says, it turns out they didn’t have to wait that long to see each other again.
Carly says, when Sam sees Sasha, give Sasha her best, and tell her that if she needs anything, Carly is here for her. Sam says she’s going to see Sasha when she gets out of here, but she wanted to check in on her friend. Carly says she’s glad Sam did. She wants Sam to know, even though Sonny marrying Nina stings, she loves Drew; she adores him. And she’s never going to forget the sacrifice he made for her. It’s really important to her that Sam sees that. Sam says she does, and she knows. They hug, and Sam leaves.
Cody asks when Sasha is leaving, and she says, the movers will be here tomorrow morning. He says, wow. He totally understands her wanting to get a fresh start, but does it really have to be away from Port Charles? Is she absolutely sure about that? There’s a knock at the door, and it’s Maxie. She asks, what’s with the boxes? and Cody says, Sasha’s leaving town. Maxie says, she’s leaving Port Charles? and Sasha says she’s moving to Austin. Maxie asks, what’s in Texas? and Cody says, nothing. And no one. He leaves, and Maxie goes inside. Sasha says, the point is, she needs a fresh start, one that doesn’t hold painful memories. When she goes to GH, all she thinks about is losing her sweet Liam. Whenever she goes to Charlie’s Pub, she forces a smile. She might look happy, but she can’t erase the images in her head. Brando laying on the ground, the rain washing away the blood from his chest. She can still hear herself screaming. Maxie says her heart aches for Sasha because she knows exactly how Sasha feels. When Nathan died, she wanted to run away. She wanted to be anywhere but here. And then she realized what is here, her friends and family who love her. Sasha says, don’t try to talk her out of it. She’s made up her mind.
Maxie says she’s not trying to get Sasha to stay. She just wants Sasha to know she understands the impulse to leave. Sasha needs to do what’s best for herself. Sasha says, honestly, she doesn’t know what’s best for her. These past couple of months, she’s been just living outside of herself, looking down, seeing this broken person locked in a room curled up in a ball, unable to function because of the drugs that monster Montague forced on her. Maxie says, maybe she was trying to detach herself from the horrors of that place, and Sasha says, maybe. She can see clearly again, and all she knows is, she has to get away. Maxie says, of course (🍷) she’ll support Sasha’s decision no matter what that is. She does want Sasha to know Deception won’t be the same without her. Sasha really hopes this doesn’t make things difficult for Maxie and Lucy. She’s so sorry. The last thing she wants to do is… Maxie says, she has nothing to be sorry about, and Sasha thanks her. She’s so glad Maxie stopped by. Why did she stop by? Maxie says she just missed her friend.
Kristina says, Blaze didn’t come here just to see her, and Blaze says, no. Her abuela lives in Puerto Rico, that’s why she’s here. She hates to fly, so Blaze visits her a lot; they’re really close. Kristina says, that’s sweet, and Blaze says, she’s great. She actually used to work at the hotel. Kristina says, really? and Blaze says, Kristina’s dad owns the property, right? Kristina says, yeah. She’s staying here. That’s crazy. What a small world. How did Blaze wind up in the chapel? Blaze says she decided to light a candle for her abuelo and say a prayer. Then she walked in, and there Kristina was. Kristina says, here she is, and Blaze says, must be fate. Kristina says, could be.
Carly flips the sign to Closed at Kelly’s.
Nina says, a shooting star, and Sonny says, she knows what she’s supposed to do when she sees a shooting star, right? She’s supposed to make a wish. She asks how she’s supposed to make a wish when he’s given her everything she’s ever wanted. She’s his wife now; he’s her husband. She loves him so much. He says he loves her too, and she’s changed his life in ways he’s just beginning to understand. She says, happy wedding day, Mr. Corinthos, and he says, happy wedding day, Mrs. Corinthos.
Willow flashes back to congratulating Nina, and Nina telling her that it meant so much she was there.
Martin tells Michael that if he was acting on behalf of a client – and that’s’ a big if – his actions would be covered by attorney/client privilege, which means he couldn’t possibly discuss it. Michael says, of course (🍷). He understands. What kind of attorney would Martin be if he broke that trust? Martin says he’s glad they understand each other, but Michael says, of course (🍷) he’d then have to refer this issue to Sonny, and he’d handle it his way. Martin says he sees no reason to involve Mr. Corinthos. Even if Sonny came to him with the same question, the same privilege would still exist. Michael says, that’s where they disagree, because Martin’s client’s actions harmed Sonny’s family. His client lied to Sonny and continues to lie to him. He thinks Sonny needs to know that. Doesn’t Martin? Sonny doesn’t know Martin is involved and it can remain that way provided Martin tells him the name of who’s actually responsible. Martin says, if he does that, it could ruin his reputation as a lawyer, but Michael says he already knows she’s the one. He just needs Martin to confirm it. That, or he could tell Sonny under much less comfortable circumstances. Martin says, Nina Reeves (b*st*rd!). He called the SEC at Nina Reeves’s direction and suggested they investigate Drew Cain and Carly Spencer for insider trading. Michael thanks him and says he can go now, and Martin asks what he’s going to do. Michael says he appreciates Martin meeting with him, and Martin leaves. Michael messes with his phone, and hears a recording of what Martin just told him. He looks so satisfied, I wish I could smack him.
Tomorrow, Lois asks if Eddie/Ned is calling her a liar; Gregory says he came to settle a score; Cyrus tells Austin that they have some unfinished business; and Josslyn says she has to speak to Dante. It’s a matter of life and death.
Below Deck Mediterranean
The only upside of watching this season will be if Natalya gets the boot. I have no clue why anybody likes her. She belongs in the Awful People Hall of Fame.
Natalya tries to lecture Tumi, who says, goodbye and walks away. Captain Sandy says, they can finally leave the dock, and Natalya gripes to Jessika. In Max’s interview, he says he’s had four years’ yachting experience, but this is his first time with an English operation. The vibe in America and South Africa is go, go, go. You go to work, but you don’t know what’s happening. Natalya tells Jack that she hates Tumi because Tumi has an issue with her, and in Jack’s interview, he says, Tumi and Natalya are fighting, and they need to get it sorted out. If it continues through another charter, it could cause a divide in the crew. It will be like how the Titanic divided, and it didn’t end well for Jack. Luka says, lets smash this, which is probably a poor choice of words when coming or going into a marina. In his interview, Luka says he finally gets to see Max in action. They’re finally leaving the dock, so hopefully, it will be easier. The captain says, they did an excellent job, and primary Mecca shows Tumi how to make a proper mimosa by pouring only champagne into the glass. In her interview, Tumi says, that’s her kind of mimosa. Agreed. In Luka’s interview, he says he loves Lara’s enthusiasm. As a first time bosun, he doesn’t have to tell her what to do, and it makes his job easier. Breakfast orders are taken, and Captain Sandy asks Luka how the deck team is. He says, they’re doing really good, and Lara is great, and the captain tells him, you do you. They proceed to drop anchor in Santa Margharita, and Luka asks if Max is comfortable dealing with the anchor. Breakfast food porn! My favorite kind. Natalya tells Kyle that she’s done. Tumi isn’t listening to her, and she’s been disrespectful from day one. After hearing about her texting Kyle, she could easily come at Tumi. In Kyle’s interview, he says he lives for a good goss, but he’s realizing his involvement made the situation worse. He told Tumi about Natalya, and Tumi sent a text to him saying, even though he and Natalya were mates, Natalya needed to stay in her lane. We flash back to Tumi texting Kyle about Natalya having a diva moment, and Kyle says, he’s good at getting information, but not good at keeping it. He assures Natalya that she’s not going anywhere. The water toys are put out, and one of the guests says, it’s swimming time. Tumi tells Captain Sandy that she’s worried because of Natalya’s constant resistance, and the captain says, that’s not good.
Tumi says, it feels like Natalya didn’t like her when she walked in. She just wants to get the job done. Captain Sandy says, if Tumi needs her, call her, but she thinks it’s hard for people to adjust. She suggests if Tumi approaches with kindness, she’ll win. Tumi says she’s going to have a chat with Natalya, and the captain says, if it doesn’t change, come to her. In her interview, Captain Sandy says, when you’re second stew, everyone loves you, but when you’re chief stew, the love isn’t there. When you lead, you’re not always popular. There are growing pains, but they need figure out how to work together. If it becomes a bigger issue, she’ll have to step in. Natalya tells Jessika that she’s not sorry, and Max does chin-ups. In Max’s interview, he says he’s ADHD, but as a kid, he never took his pills. He made believe he did because when he took them, he was like a zombie. In Tumi’s interview, says, the primary wants to surprise her friends with lunch in a beautiful spot, and she got the Santa Margharita castle. It was built in the 1600s, and used to be the scene of epic miliary raids, but now it’s a great picnic spot. In Jack’s interview, he thinks having Natalya in his ear has colored his perspective. When he and Tumi talk one-on-one, they have a good vibe and could have a working relationship in the future, but it’s hard when people are in his ear, right or wrong. Natalya says, blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah-blah about Tumi to Jessika, and in Jessika’s interview, she says, every time she sees Natalya, she has an update on whatever Tumi did wrong. Natalya whines that Tumi never says thank you and came onto the boat with the worst attitude. Oh God, she doesn’t stop. In her interview, Jessika says, note to self, never get on Nat’s bad side. The guests use the water toys, and Luka tells Tumi that it’s time to take the supplies over. In Luka’s interview, he says, the castle overlooks the port and it’s so beautiful, but he wishes it wasn’t so f***ing high. Max is the laziest dude on earth, and watches as the girls carry supplies up a million stairs. Luka radios that he’s bringing the guests and is going to take a deckhand back. Max volunteers and in her interview, Lara says she wants to kick Max in the d*ck. In Max’s interview, he says, it’s the second day and he’s exhausted, and in Lara’s interview, she says, the dynamic on deck had been amazing, but now she’s worried. Laziness annoys the sh*t out of her. Yachting isn’t all fun and games. Work isn’t Max’s mentality, and she’s going to lose her sh*t.
The guests go to the castle, while back on the yacht, Max lies on a float. He says he’s tired. In Kyle’s interview, he says he’s not excited to be taking a hike on day two, but the bright side is, on day three his ass will look fantastic. Served for lunch at the castle is… food porn! Luka calls for help packing, and Tumi sends Natalya. In Natalya’s interview, she says she just wants to get a break away from the Tuminator. In Tumi’s interview, she says, the cabins aren’t finished; there’s spots on the mirrors, and trash wasn’t removed. She wants Natalya to go out and not have to stay on the boat all the time, but if she’s not done, Tumi would appreciate her saying something. Don’t say she’s done when she’s not done. The guests are going shopping on their own, and Kyle says he’s getting too old for this sh*t. Back on the boat, Max works out. I guess he’s not too exhausted for that. Tumi tells Jessika that the biggest thing with her is the trash not being removed, and she can see the bathrooms aren’t wiped down. She doesn’t care about it not being done, but Natalya told her the cabins were done. If she’d said she wasn’t finished, it would have been perfectly fine. When Natalya comes back, she tells Jessika that she did the cabins, but Jessika says, Tumi was annoyed that the cabins weren’t done. Natalya says, they all have towels, like that’s all there is to it, and calls Tumi to meet her at the bar. She asks Tumi what the issue is this time. She did the cabins and made the beds. Tumi says, if the cabins were done, the showers would have been wiped, and Natalya just wants to argue. Jessika says she’s not dealing with this, and jets. Wise move. Tumi says she’s chief stew, and Natalya says, congratulations. I honestly don’t get why this kind of behavior is allowed. If anybody else said that to their boss, they’d be fired. Tumi says, Natalya’s had a problem with her from the beginning, and Natalya says, Tumi has been nitpicking from the jump. Kyle tells Captain Sandy that they’re fighting, and the captain goes to the bar. Tumi tells Natalya not to scream at her, and Captain Sandy tells them both to go to the bridge. On the bridge, Natalya says, Tumi is the only person she doesn’t get along with. The captain thanks Natalya for everything she’s done, but she’s not going to handle this. Natalya whines that Tumi texted Kyle and said she’d have no problem firing Natalya. Tumi laughs, and the captain tells her it’s not okay to make fun of people when you’re in a leadership role. She’s ready to put them both off the boat.
Natalya leaves, and Captain Sandy tells Tumi to rise above and figure it out. In her interview, the captain says, you have to respect each other in the workplace. This behavior doesn’t make anyone happy. She tells Tumi that she owes Natalya an apology for laughing, and in her interview, the captain says she diffused the situation. Now she needs to step away and let them handle it. If she’s the one who draws the line, they’ll never respect each other. If she hears Natalya screaming again and Tumi can’t diffuse the situation, she’ll have to make a decision. Natalya whines that she doesn’t need this sh*t in her life. Tumi talks to Kyle about the texts, and he says, Natalya twisted his words. She did this last season. When she’s in a corner, a rat will chew through. In Tumi’s interview, she says she doesn’t know where this is coming from – if it’s Natalya or Kyle – and it’s frustrating. In hindsight, it was unprofessional of her to text Kyle, and that’s on her. She’ll learn from her mistake and thinks they can have a constructive conversation. On shore, the guests are still shopping and eating ice cream, and the town is super cute. Tumi asks Natalya to talk, but Natalya says she has to chill. She’ll communicate to Tumi through Kyle, and vice versa. Kyle tells Tumi not to lower herself. Max jumps around on deck, while Lara puts stuff away. In Max’s interview, he says he thinks Lara is frustrated, and wonders if it’s him or is she just like this. Um… It’s you, Max. Kyle tells Jessika, positive vibes, and Jack goes over the menu with Tumi. In Jack’s interview, he says, it hasn’t been the perfect charter, so tonight, dinner has to go perfect. In the crew mess, Lara tells Luka that Max is lazy, and Max says, this boat is different. In Luka’s interview, he says, if he tells the girls to do something, they’ll just do it, but he has to tread carefully with Max to make sure he doesn’t f*** up the whole vibe on deck. Captain Sandy calls Tumi to the bridge, and the guests are picked up from shore. The captain tells Tumi that she knows walking in as chief stew was hard, but when Tumi feels pushback, talk it out. Tumi says, it’s hard to have a conversation with Natalya, and the captain asks if they didn’t have a chat, but Tumi says, Natalya didn’t want to talk to her. Captain Sandy says she needs the team to do their job respectfully, and Tumi says she’s shocked she’s responded this way. In Tumi’s interview, she says she’s worked at keeping her emotions inside. When she was a kid, she had the lead role in her ballet concert, when her mom told her that her dad was killed in a shooting. She went on stage for a two-hour show, cried on breaks, then danced. She knows how to hide her emotions to do her job. Fighting people is unusual. The captain says, Tumi is doing an amazing job. Keep trying. I dunno. I think this is above Tumi’s paygrade and the captain should step in now. The guests return, and Mecca asks if the crew missed them. Luka says, of course, and Kyle greets them with warm towels. The guests rave about the town, and say it was amazing. Jessika tells Tumi that she’s not stirring things up. She was just reiterating what needs to be done. Tumi tells her, it’s okay, and hugs her. In Jessika’s interview, she says she’s starting to feel bad for Tumi. Natalya didn’t want to hand over the role, so she’s being a mean girl. It reminds her of high school, and she doesn’t like it. YES! The self-proclaimed lazy follower is the voice of reason. There’s a charming tropical table setting, and the stews are wearing daisy crowns. Jessika tells Kyle that she thinks Natalya is being a mean girl, and he agrees. He says, it was the same last season, and Jessika asks if they want a mean girl. He says, no, but she’s one bitch you don’t want to cross paths with. If Jessika doesn’t want to die today, don’t go down there.
Max sings in French in his bunk, and in the galley, Captain Sandy says, it smells like the Caribbean in here. Natalya starts bitching to the captain, who tells her, communication is the key. She and Tumi need to chat in a non-threatening way. Natalya whines that Tumi nitpicked from the second she came in, but Captain Sandy says, she and Tumi need to have that conversation. They can figure it out. In the crew mess, Haleigh asks if they kicked the day’s d*ck, and Luka says, they did. Lara says, her d*ck was kicked. Max doesn’t know what yachting is really like. Caribbean food porn! Everyone is all happy, and one guest says, the bar is set. They’re Jamaicans. No surprise, vegan guest Adjua thinks her food is bland, and Mecca tells Tumi, it’s super important that her friends are happy, and Adjua isn’t loving her food. Adjua says she wants fried tofu; season it and fry it. She needs something greasy. Jessika tries to appeal to Natalya’s humanity, forgetting she has none, and says she thinks Tumi feels like they did first charter, but Natalya says, too bad. Tumi tells Jack that Adjua wants tofu fried in French fry grease. In Jack’s interview, he says he’s a lot of things, but vegan isn’t one of them. I must not even understand it, because wouldn’t French fry grease be cheating? Tumi brings Adjua the tofu, but it’s still not right. Mecca asks Tumi to get Jack, and on his way in, Tumi whispers to him that Adjua wanted it breaded and fried. Jack tells them that he wasn’t told fried, and not one to be toyed with, Mecca calls Tumi in. Tumi says she did so tell him friend, and for whatever reason, Jack understood it to mean pan seared, and deep fried is fried. In his interview, Jack says, they have to be specific. He’s a wizard in the kitchen, but he can’t read their minds. Well, I think he should understand what fried means to Americans, who are a large percentage of their clientele. In Tumi’s interview, she says she’s emotionally exhausted. There’s tension in every single corner. She’d thought she was making headway with Jack, then he threw her under the bus. She asks how the tofu is, and Adjua says, much better. The guests go to bed, and in her interview, Tumi says she’s shocked that things are this bad. She just wants to hide, but she knows at this point she has to change something on her part and she has to do it now.
Max does push-ups, and Luka tells him to help Lara. Mecca says, they have 90 minutes in paradise left, breakfast is served, and anchor is home. Haleigh says she thinks the bow is hard with one person, and gets stuck with Max. In her interview, she says, knowing what she’s seen, it’s not going to go well. In the laundry, Natalya announces that she doesn’t need this sh*t in her life. I’m not sure if she means the general sh*t going on or something specific, since she’s constantly grumbling about everything. Tumi tells Jessika that she and Natalya need to have a conversation. In her interview, Tumi says, the situation has gone too far and needs to end. She’s willing to swallow her pride and take one for the team. She tells Natalya that she hates conflict in the interior. She respects Natalya’s enthusiasm (is that what we’re calling it?) and feels like they’re similar. Maybe too similar and that’s the problem. She’s worked with many different chief stews and took things she liked, then shaped them how she wanted to manage. Natalya gripes that she had to work with three stews, one of them a greenie, before Tumi got here. If Tumi had just acknowledged her, it would have been different. Tumi says she told Natalya thank you, but admits that Natalya pissed her off after the introduction. Natalya says, Tumi never gave her a fair go, but Tumi says, Natalya didn’t give her a fair go either. Natalya insists that Tumi wanted to show Natalya her place, but Tumi says she’s not like that. On deck, Max doesn’t listen to what Haleigh’s telling him while docking, and Luka wants to know, WTF is going on? Natalya whines that Tumi coddles Kyle, while she gets crickets. Tumi is supposed to be her boss (wow. I didn’t know she knew that), so she’ll do whatever Tumi wants, but doesn’t want to be her friend. She thinks it’s bullsh*t, but loves the work. She’ll do whatever, but doesn’t want a friendship. Max is babbling incessantly, and Haleigh tells him to shut up. The captain says, this is not good. In her interview, she says, hell no. With a full team, everything should be easier to operate. That’s clearly not the case. Natalya says she just wants a successful charter where they make big tips, and Tumi says, okay, cool. As soon as Tumi is out of earshot, Natalya says, little bitch.

💭 A thought: I’m not sure where Captain Sandy sees Natalya as being a good person. At best, she’s lazy. I think she likes the tips and the yachting, but not the work. She also caused a bunch of trouble last season. Can’t the captain see the common denominator here?

Nina and Sonny are kissing at the MetroCourt Garden, and Nina says, if they keep this up, she won’t get any work done. He guesses he can’t convince her to play hooky, and she says, his powers of persuasion are incredible, but they’re both busy people. His phone rings, and he steps away to take the call. Nina sees Olivia, and suggests Olivia take some time off, and let her handle things. Olivia says, thanks, but she’s all set, and Nina says, they’re partners, aren’t they? And for the most part, things have been going well, right? Olivia commends Nina on handling the details of Brando’s memorial, but says, why don’t they quit while they’re ahead? Let her buy Nina out before the whole thing gets real nasty, because they all know that’s where this is headed.
Holding a rose, Marshall approaches Epiphany at the hospital. She asks what he’s doing here, and he says she’s been studying for the MCATs for almost a year, does she think he wouldn’t show up on her big day to wish her luck? She says it’s good he’s here, because if she crashes and burns on these MCATs today, she’s holding him personally responsible.
Portia, Curtis, and TJ share a table at the Garden, and Portia says she realizes Curtis has some last minute details to settle before they pick a date, but some of these venues are booked years in advance. She feels like everyone is marrying their fiancé in the next 18 months. Curtis asks what TJ thinks, but TJ’s face is in his phone. Portia says she bets TJ and Molly have dozens of wedding invitations on their fridge, and Curtis asks what TJ thinks. TJ looks at a text from Willow: Checking in. R U OK after run-in w/ Nina @ the funeral? Portia says, TJ? and he says he’s sorry. What was the question? Curtis says he guesses now the question becomes, who is more interesting than them?
Michael finds Willow on the patio, and says he thought she had a shift this morning, but she says, Terry gave her a few days off. He says he’s glad Terry is being so accommodating with her pregnancy.
On the phone, Ned says, he’s Chairman of the Board. Valentin can’t just drop off the face of the earth and leave him holding the bag. Call him. Michael comes in with Willow, and says he’s sorry Ned is having trouble with Valentin. Ned says he bets. Have Michael and Drew been able to stop the Aurora stock from freefalling? Michael says, ages ago. At least he and Drew know they can trust each other. Is that how it is with Ned and Valentin?
At the station, Jordan thanks Victor for joining them, and he says, the officer told him that she might have some questions for him about what happened to Lucy Coe. She says she does, and he says he’s more than happy to answer once his attorney gets here. She tells him to wait in the interrogation room, and when he’s gone, Robert says he supposes it’s too much to hope Victor confesses, but Jordan says she doesn’t think there’s much to confess to. Anna says, the evidence suggests otherwise, and Dante says, he had a date with Lucy before she disappeared. They’re well within their rights to hold him for questioning. Robert says, he’s got an alibi, and Anna says, of course (🍷). He’s always got other people doing his dirty work for him. Jordan asks Anna to walk with her a moment, and they leave. Jordan tells Anna, when she first got back on the job, Anna and Laura confided in her that they were working together to find out who killed Luke Spencer, and Victor is up to some grander scheme. As her friend, Jordan has given Anna space to handle that investigation, but as Anna’s colleague, she needs to make sure Anna’s vendetta isn’t clouding her judgement. Anna says, it’s fueling her resolve, but she sees everything clearly, and Jordan says, then she has to ask. Does Anna think Victor could have murdered Lucy? Anna says, absolutely.
A woman (who we assume is Lucy) lies on the edge of the beach, face down, half in the water.
Trina comes into the station, and says she thought Rory was meeting her at ten. He looks at his watch, and says he didn’t realize the time. She asks if he at least packed, and he says he did. She says she thought he couldn’t wait for their weekend getaway, and now he’s distracted. He tells her, things got pretty swamped here last night; long story. She says, if the safety of the citizens of Port Charles is at stake, she can’t really drag him away from his duties. So if he needs to postpone, it’s fine. He says, that’s the furthest thing from his mind, and she says, great, let’s go, but he asks if she’s sure. She was ready to call it real quick. Does she not want to go away with him?
Nina asks where this is coming from. Olivia just got done saying she was doing a good job. Olivia says she’s not doubting Nina’s adaptability or business acumen, but in order for this partnership to work, they have to trust each other, and there’s no way she’s ever going to trust Nina. Nina says, so much for being civil, and Olivia says, this is her civil. When Nina kept Sonny from all of them, she didn’t just hurt Carly and Sonny’s kids; Nina hurt everyone who cares for him. She and Sonny share a first born son. They share a grandchild, so it includes her. Sonny may be okay with Nina, but that doesn’t mean everyone else will be. So why doesn’t Nina let Olivia buy her out of this hotel, for everyone’s sake, and they can all move on with their lives. Nina says, sorry, no deal. Olivia’s stuck with her. Sonny asks if everything’s okay here, and Olivia says, peachy. She’s going to let Nina take care of all this. It turns out she needs a breather after all.
Portia wants to get to the hospital early, so she can wish Epiphany good luck on her MCATs, and Curtis says, it’s great Portia helped Epiphany prepare. He knows Portia’s support means a lot to her. Portia says, Epiphany is her friend, and she’s important to Curtis’s father, so her pleasure. She leaves, and Curtis asks why TJ is so happy all of a sudden. TJ says, this family. They’ve had their ups and downs, but he can’t say how grateful he is that Curtis and Marshall settled in a good place. It’s a huge 180 from last year. Of course (🍷) he’s sure it helps to understand the burden Marshall was carrying.
Marshall asks, how is Epiphany tanking the MCATs – which is not going to happen, by the way – his fault? She says, he walked into this hospital, her hospital, a year ago, and got her to open up about how her entire adult life she’s had this fantasy about going to med school, becoming a doctor after decades of nursing. He encouraged her. Why would he do that? Who goes up to total strangers and encourages them? He says, someone had to, and he’s glad it was him.
Martin arrives at the station, and says he got Dante’s call. Dante asks if he’s heard from Lucy, and Martin says, no. Why does he ask? Robert says, it seems she’s gone missing. Dante says, she was last seen on the docks; there were signs of foul play. Martin asks, what kind of signs? and Dante says, there was evidence that a shot was fired; a bullet casing was found on the pier.
Jordan says, Anna needs to level with her. What exactly did Lucy get mixed up in? Anna says, Lucy was helping with her investigation into Victor. She just needed one piece of information, but Lucy was getting in over her head. Anna tried to pull her out, but forgot how stubborn Lucy can be. Jordan asks how hard Anna really tried to pull Lucy out, and Anna says she brought Martin back here. She thought that would at least limit Lucy’s ability to see Victor. She thinks it was too late. She might have cost Lucy her life. Jordan’s phone rings, and she says, Coast Guard Search and Rescue. Maybe they found evidence that Lucy’s alive.
The woman on the shore moves her hand a little.
Sonny says, this thing with Nina and Olivia isn’t working, and Nina says, Sonny warned her this would happen if she bought into this place. He says he was hoping he was wrong, and she says, Olivia pretty much came out and said she’d be a good partner. He tells her, that’s a step in the right direction, and she says, if she hadn’t done what she did to his family. She looks at TJ, and says, even though she’s looking out for them now.
Curtis says he’s sure it wasn’t easy for TJ’s grandfather to open up about his diagnosis, especially to him. He made a point that he didn’t want to hear Marshall’s excuses about why he abandoned Curtis and TJ’s dad. It never occurred to him how difficult it was to make that decision then, and trying to own up to it now. TJ says, the world has changed since Marshall found out about his schizophrenia. He comes from a time when, if you admitted you had a mental illness, that was considered weakness, a source of shame. That was ridiculous, but Curtis knows how much courage and strength it takes to reach out. Curtis has certainly helped enough people, and TJ is sure he wouldn’t hesitate to rely on family. Curtis says, here’s hoping, and TJ says he hopes Curtis doesn’t mind him asking, but have he and Portia talked about having kids? Curtis says, there’s a lot to consider first, and flashes back to Portia saying there’s no reason to worry about Curtis having a predisposition to mental illness, and Curtis saying, the only reason he’d be tested is if he decided to have children. Nina and Sonny approach their table, and Nina says she hopes they’re not interrupting.
Epiphany tells Marshall, it was a pipe dream. Something to think about when she was bored or fed up with arrogant doctors. The point is, she was happy. She liked the road she was on, and dreaming of the road not taken. Now she’s at a fork in that road, and it’s all his fault. Marshall tells her, all he said was, if going to medical school is something she wants to look into, she should. She says, he called her Dr. Johnson, and now… All these years, she could say to herself, she would have been a great doctor, especially compared to some of these arrogant yahoos. It was something to dream about, to comfort herself with. He asks, how is it going to change? and she says, if she bombs these MCATs, the dream is over. No more imaginary genius doctor. She’ll just be a real life failure.
Dante tells Martin, it’s the early stages of the investigation. They don’t want to get locked in a theory, and miss something important. Jordan and Anna come back, and Martin asks if there’s any news about his Lucy. Jordan says, the Coast Guard finished their preliminary search, but almost a whole day has passed. Martin says, so his Lucy is presumed dead? He doesn’t accept that, not without sufficient evidence. A single casing doesn’t prove anyone’s demise, and what proof do they even have that she was on the docks, much less in the water? Jordan says, they found Lucy’s shoe, and he says, for the sake of argument, say it was Lucy’s. Is it not equally plausible that somebody fired one shot and missed, and Lucy got away? She was running and lost a shoe in the process. Jordan says she has teams in the cities, seeing if Lucy is hiding out anywhere, and Martin sees Victor in the interrogation room. He asks, what exactly does Victor have to do with it? and Robert suggests the go for a walk. Dante says he should let Scotty know. He and Lucy share a daughter. He leaves, and Jordan says, they should notify Lucy’s business partners. Does Anna want to handle that? Anna flies into the interrogation room, and Jordan follows her. Victor asks what he can do for Anna, and Anna says, listen to her. Even if they never find Lucy’s body, this will escalate into a murder charge, and he’ll be the number one suspect. He says he doubts it will get that far, but Anna says, she hopes it doesn’t. Because one way or another, she’ll make it her business to destroy him. Jordan says, Anna… and Anna says, and Victor will wish it had gone through the court. So her suggestion is, he start talking.
The woman sits back on her knees, breathing heavily. She hauls herself out of the water, and walks inland.
Ned tells Michael, is Valentin unscrupulous and immoral? Obviously. Is he good for ELQ’s bottom line? Unquestionably. Michael says, compared to what the bottom line would have been had the ELQ/Aurora merger gone through? Willow watches, and Michael says, Ned isn’t in any position to lecture him about business. Olivia comes in, and asks Willow, what’s going on here? Willow says, Ned versus Michael, round 72, and Michael says, Ned was leading the charge to keep ELQ in the family. Then when he couldn’t be CEO, he changed his tune really quick. Ned says, Michael tried to drive him out of ELQ by offering him a figurehead position. Michael says, Drew was the obvious choice if the merger happened, and Olivia tells them, stop, both of them, but they don’t listen. Michael says, Drew was taking the biggest risk; he owned the largest block of stock; that is how business works. If Ned cared about ELQ as much as he says he does, Valentin would gone. Willow starts to buckle, and Olivia asks, what’s wrong? Willow starts breathing heavily, and Michael asks if she’s okay.
The woman walks to the Quartermaine boathouse, and goes inside.
Marshall asks if Epiphany is done. Now take that energy and passion, and focus it on medicine. Focus it on helping people, and being the best at what she does. She knows she is, and she loves it. She asks if he’s accusing her of the sin of pride, and he says, there are worse reasons to go to hell. She laughs, and says, only a jazz man could talk about perdition like that. He’s a terrible influence. He says, if he was going to influence her, it would be to set aside her fears. She’s not just a nurse. She’s Epiphany Johnson. She knows all; she sees all. Fear runs from her and hides. She’s been up since the crack of dawn studying; she’s got this. She thanks him for the encouragement, but he says, he’s just stating facts. She says, what if she doesn’t pass? and he says, so what?A valiant effort is not a failure. It’s brave and courageous, and makes him so very proud of her. Portia runs in, and says, good; it’s not too late. She wanted to wish Epiphany luck, not that she’s going to need it. Epiphany thanks her, and says she couldn’t have made it without Portia. Portia says, yes, she could, and she’s got this. Epiphany says, she guesses she should get down there, and Marshall tells her, good luck. She leaves, but then comes back, giving Marshall a quick kiss before racing off. He touches his lips, and looks at Portia.
Michael asks if it’s the baby, but Willow says she just needs some air, and goes outside. Olivia asks if Michael and Ned are proud of themselves.
Curtis hugs Nina, and asks how she is. They keep missing each other. She says, they have to catch up one of these days. How did Chase’s show go? Curtis says, he brought the house down, and she says, that’s wonderful. Curtis asks to speak to Sonny in private, and Sonny says, lead the way. They go where there are less people, and Sonny asks, what’s on Curtis’s mind? Curtis says, he’s aware that Sonny knows about his father’s medical condition, so Sonny will probably understand where he’s coming from. He’s been doing a lot of reading about genetic counseling, and he saw there are tests to determine if a person has a predisposition to Alzheimer’s. He’s not asking Sonny to divulge his decision, but he made a decision not to find out about certain risk factors that could affect him, and he wonders if he made the right choice.
Trina says, of course (🍷) she wants to go away with Rory, but a comic book convention was never on her bucket list of things to do. She’s sorry. He says he gets it. Not everyone is into comics, but those of them who are can be a little enthusiastic, and that enthusiasm can be overwhelming. (I have been to many a convention, and I concur.) She says, which she totally gets, which is why she’s going. He made such a huge effort to learn why she loves art and history. He says, there was no effort. She made it interesting. She says, that’s why she knows he’ll help her to see why he’s so passionate about a highly different art. Dante asks to speak to Rory before he takes off, and Rory tells Trina, he’ll be right back.
Victor’s lawyer walks in, and asks why members of law enforcement are speaking with her client before she got here. Anna says, they were just having a friendly chat, and the lawyer says, she hopes nobody said anything that could even be remotely construed as coercing a confession. Victor says, they were just catching up, and she says, her client will be happy to answer any questions after they’ve spoken privately. Is he being charged with something? Jordan says, not at the moment, but they’re within their rights to keep him here for 24 hours. The lawyer says, if he’s going to be held that long, they’ll need some water… so they can dust the glass for prints; nice try. Anna says, he was head of the WSB. Doesn’t she think they have his prints? She says, Anna makes a fair point. She’s treating him to the vending machines anyway. Jordan says, then she’ll have to get one for the whole class. Victor gets up to go with her, and says, don’t look so worried. He promises he won’t make a break for it.
Robert tells Martin, for what it’s worth (🍷), until there’s proof, there’s always hope. Martin says, he knows, and for what it’s worth (🍷), if Lucy is alive and well, he’ll never take her for granted again. And he’ll also make who did this pay… dearly.
Willow walks to the boathouse, because she’s really stupid. She leans against the fence, and sees reddish wet footprints leading inside.
Ned says, it wasn’t his intention to upset Willow, but Michael started it. Michael says, it started when Ned betrayed the family. Olivia tells them to stop. They sound like a couple of children on the playground; you started it, no you started it. She’s been part of this family long enough backstabbing and lying to make the Starks and the Lannisters think it’s over the top. But business aside, they always come back together, because they’re a family. It’s about time they start remembering that.
Willow approaches the boathouse door, because she’s really, really stupid. She opens the door, and says, Brook? She goes inside, sees the woman, and screams. She runs back to the house, and Michael meets her on the patio. He asks if she’s okay, and she says she was by the boathouse. There were footprints coming from the lake, and what looked like drops of blood. She went into the boathouse, and there was a woman. She couldn’t see the woman’s face, but could it be whoever killed Brando? Ned says he’ll call Dante, and asks Olivia to call security. She says, of course (🍷), and sees Michael grab a hefty meat tenderizer, and head out the door. She asks where he’s going, and he says he doesn’t want to let them get away. Olivia runs after him, asking if he’s crazy.
Jordan says, Victor’s alibi is rock solid; they’ll have to release him. She could have a plainclothes officer tail him… Dante comes in, and says, Ned Quartermain just called. He said a woman wandered in from the lake, and is trespassing on the property. Anna says, oh my God, is it Lucy? but Dante says, they didn’t get a good look at her. He wants to send a squad car, but Jordan tells him to check it out personally. Anna starts to leave with him, but Robert says he wants her to stick around, and keep an eye on Victor. He’ll report back to her. He follows Dante out.
Nina sits down, and says, TJ, but he says, Dr. Ashford. She says she wants to apologize if she was too direct at Brando’s funeral. He says, when she warned him that people would start to spread rumors about Willow and him, it seems the only person doing that is her. She says she’s sorry if it seemed out of line, but he says, it was out of line. But he’s not one to hold a grudge, so he’ll accept her apology if she stays out of his business, and Willow’s. She says, Willow and Michael are her business because they’re her grandson’s parents. So if something is happening that she should… He says, she’s got it all wrong, and she says, please enlighten her, because it seems every time she sees him with Willow, there’s a lot more going on than being friends. What’s really happening between them?
Curtis says he’s not trying push Sonny. He just needs Sonny’s wisdom, experience, and insight on his decision. Sonny says, he considered getting tested to see if he had the gene for Alzheimer’s, but didn’t want to go through with it. Not knowing or knowing’s not going to change the outcome, and he didn’t want to keep waiting for it to happen. Curtis says, so Sonny is telling him that he made the right decision, and Sonny says, if Curtis had schizophrenia, he would have shown signs by now. Curtis says, it was about getting facts so he could make decisions about his family, and Sonny says he doesn’t know what Curtis’s plans are, but if they’re what he thinks they are, there’s Curtis’s answer.
Portia says, rather cozy, and Marshall says, that kiss? He’s a jazz musician. This kind of thing happens all the time. She laughs, and says, it must be so difficult for him, but he says, he barely notices it. She says she knows they’ve been seeing each other, but it seems like they’re getting serious? He says he wasn’t going to broach something like that on her day, and she says, for what it’s worth (🍷), she thinks he’s good for Epiphany. He says, she’s been good for him too. For so long he’s been worried how his family, the people he’s closest to, would react to his diagnosis. Then here comes this woman, someone he just happened to meet, and she couldn’t have been more supportive. He finally learned it’s best to get these things out in the open right away. You can’t live with some huge secret that could undermine your whole relationship.
Anna asks Jordan if there’s anything, and Jordan says, there’s no security footage from the docks, but a flight path was logged for a drone last night. The New York State Division of Tourism was shooting aerial footage by the lake. Maybe they caught something, and they can get some answers. Victor comes back with his lawyer.
TJ says he won’t explain his relationship with Willow to Nina. He doesn’t owe her any clarification, and neither does Willow, because it’s none of her business. She says she knows he believes that, but she doesn’t believe that. He says she already has a reputation for coming between people. Don’t allow that to be truer than it already is. Sonny comes back and says, Curtis had to go; he’ll catch up with both of them later. TJ says, he’ll see Sonny later, gives Nina a look, and leaves. Nina says, it looks like she and Sonny both have busy days ahead… He asks, what was that with her and TJ?
Olivia runs after Michael, yelling, stop! Don’t be stupid! They get to the boathouse, and he tells her, stay back. He grips the tenderizer, and kicks the door in. Olivia says, oh my God.
Jordan tells Anna that the drone footage was sent in its entirety. Once the time frame is isolated, she’ll bring it out, and they’ll review it together. Martin asks where Robert and Dante are, and Anna says, there was an incident at the Quartermaines. It may or may not be related to Lucy’s disappearance. They’ll know more soon. She asks how he is, and he asks if she really cares. She does realize none of this would have happened if she hadn’t blackmailed him. He would have never left town, and Lucy would have never ended up in Victor’s crosshairs. She says, it is a bit more complicated… but he says he doesn’t think it is. The last time he was with Lucy, she told him what was going on. She told him that she and Anna were at odds. It wasn’t just him with Valentin, Anna was leaning on Lucy, and got her wrapped up in some misguided attempt to take down Victor. How desperate did Anna have to be? How obsessed to involve Lucy in something like that? Anna says she really regrets involving Lucy in this, and he asks why she involved Lucy in the first place. She says, the risks were not that great, and he asks, what are the risks? What was her goal? She looks away, and he says, there it is. There’s more to this than she’s willing to tell him, and he wants to know why.
Epiphany goes into the room where the MCATs are being taken. She sits in front of a computer, and says, here goes nothing. She sees the first question, and quietly laughs to herself.
Curtis sees Portia at the hospital reception desk, and she says she didn’t expect to see him so soon. Marshall says, if he’s there to wish Epiphany luck, he just missed her. He says, no. Epiphany’s got this, but he wishes her well. He came to see them. Portia asks, what’s going on? He says he was doing some thinking, and he’s changed his mind. He wants to explore genetic counseling after all.
Rory tells Trina, he’s now officially all hers, and she says, it’s about time. He takes her bag, and heads out. She hesitates for a moment, then follows him.
Sonny tells Nina, he’s known TJ since he was a little kid. He can’t imagine what they’d be disagreeing about. She says, just add TJ to the long list of people who aren’t her biggest fans. She shouldn’t be surprised. It turns out, TJ is quite close to Willow.
Dante and Robert arrive at the boathouse, and Dante asks Michael if the woman is inside. Michael nods, and says he’d like to get Willow home. Dante tells him to go, and Olivia comes out. Robert asks if it’s Lucy, but she says, no, it’s not. But before he goes in, he needs to prepare himself. He says, for what? and she says, he needs to see for himself. And I know who it is. My bad for thinking it was Lucy yesterday, but in my defense, that’s what they wanted me to think.
Anna asks Martin to put his trust in her. She knows it’s a lot to ask, and he says, what a sublimely English gift for understatement she has. She says she’s going to do everything in her power to bring Lucy home safely, and he says, what if that no longer possible? She says, then she’ll go after whoever is responsible, and bring them to justice. Jordan comes back, and says, she has the footage queued up to the hour of Lucy’s disappearance. Anna says, Martin may not want to see this, and he says, why? Because he’s just a civilian? He’s staying. Jordan says, the drone is hovering over the lake, but she can zoom in. They see Lucy standing at the pier, and discovering she isn’t alone. They see her holding up her hands, backing up and getting shot, and then falling into the water. Martin says, Anna…?
Victor’s lawyer says, tell her they won’t find any evidence connecting him to this woman’s disappearance. He says he wouldn’t worry about that. He trusts Robert and Anna will be far too distracted to worry about little old him.
Robert and Dante go into the boathouse, and Robert says, oh my God. Ned is there, and we see Holly wrapped in a blanket. She says, hello, Robert.
Tomorrow, Sasha asks Maxie why the police would be looking for Lucy; Robert asks where Holly has been for the last two years; and Drew kisses Carly.
🏂 Congratulations to Winter House for adding an even worse housemate to the cast of awful people who were already in the house. Sadly, I’m talking about you, Craig from Southern Charm. I don’t know if it’s the juju in the house that has made him awful, or he was always this awful and I didn’t notice. Or maybe he’s just awful when he drinks. Some people just shouldn’t, and even girlfriend Paige called him off his rocker and a toddler when he drinks.
And while we’re on the subject, shotgunning a beer when you’re over the age of 21 is really unattractive. Actually, it’s unattractive at any age, but expected from one barely out of their teen years. Giving the finger in a photo doesn’t do you any favors either. And I don’t say that because it’s profane. It’s old. Yawn… So what else can you do?
Craig came in hot, apparently having stayed on a Luke owned property, and nearly blowing the place up. Luke was storying fireworks in the same room Craig was staying in, and Craig thought they were a welcome present. Stupid + awful = disaster. Maybe I keep watching this because I hope I’m being punked. Seriously, how can young professionals – <choke> their words, not mine – in their 30s behave the way these people do? Two nights of broken glass on the floor from the previous night’s party is bad enough, but when asked to pitch in with the cleaning, Craig pitched a hissy fit instead. He told everyone that he made his money so he could not do what he didn’t want to, so why couldn’t he pay a cleaning crew? That seemed fine with everyone, except it was Sunday, and they needed this sh*t cleaned up now. Craig also likes to act like a big shot with his new pillow money. In the first episode, he paid his way into a better room. With hundred dollar bills. Even newbie Kory, Craig’s old college buddy, said Craig’s delivery was always wrong. And the drinking games. So many drinking games.
There were a few fun moments in the snow, and pairing people up by handing out matching costumes that were a half of something, like an avocado and a PB&J sandwich, than playing various non-drinking games. But this is one house that can’t have nice things, and Craig managed to ruin the entire season by episode 2 by acting like a total asshat when he thought Luke got too familiar with Paige by petting her hair. It was an innocuous old friend gesture, but Craig went apesh*t, saying, Luke was making all the girls uncomfortable. Luke finally walked away from the situation to call his sister and vent, waking her up at nearly 3 am. (Again, he’s nearly 40.) Craig stomped around and demanded Luke be banished from Vermont, even though he’s the new guy. He said if Luke didn’t go, he would, and started packing. It looked like Luke was packing too, and someone pulled their car out, but we didn’t see who. It just said, to be continued. My only thought was, they’d both been drinking like fish. Production better get on that. But if Paige was smart, it was her. She deserves better than the Pillow King.

Jason meets Sonny at the gym, and Sonny says Sasha’s been meeting with Cyrus, and Carly seems to think she’s using drugs. If she is, he broke the damn truce.
Julian tussles with Darth Vader at an otherwise empty Charlie’s. Darth’s mask comes off, and it’s Taggert. Julian says, You. I know you.
Ryan comes into the visiting room. They pick up the phones. He says he’s surprised to see her on this stormy Halloween night. Is this a trick, or a treat? She says, a treat, and he asks if she did what he said. She says she did. She divorced Nikolas.
Elizabeth tells Nikolas, when he and Ava were playing Franco and her, they were playing him and Ava. She was the one blackmailing him.
Franco asks Terry if Elizabeth asked her to check on him, but she says Elizabeth doesn’t know she’s there. He asks what’s going on, and if she’s seeing a bunch of kids today. She says as much as she’d love to hang out, she’s there in a professional capacity.
Peter asks who it is on the phone, and a female voice asks if he doesn’t recognize her. It’s his old friend, Helena Cassadine. He’s stunned, and tells Maxie and Spinelli, work emergency. He jets to the hallway, and says she’s dead. She says, is she? Then she’s certain chosen the perfect night to deal with some unfinished business. And they have much unsettled between them.
Valentin asks if Anna has an answer, and she says, Faison doesn’t have the genetic marker for rheumatoid arthritis. Which means she’s not Peter’s mother. Alex is.
Valentin tells Anna to sit; it’s a lot to process. She asks how he felt when he found out his whole life was lie. When he found out Mikkos wasn’t his father, and Helena was his mother. He says, like the bottom dropped out of the world, and she says she kind of feels like that. He tells her, take a minute. There’s no more shame; no more guilt. She didn’t sleep with Faison. She didn’t have pregnancy, or give Peter up for adoption. She says, it still feels real, and he says, it isn’t. She says she blamed herself for sleep with Faison and giving away his child. She put herself through hell, and for what? It’s nothing but lies.
Peter asks who is she really, and why is she doing this? Helena says, they both know she’s eluded death before. Why should now be any different? He says because she contacted him. What about Nikolas? Or Spencer? Or her son Valentin? She says she needs him, not them. He asks, why? and she says she needs someone to help her stay dead until she’s ready to reveal herself. Nikolas and Valentin can’t be trusted, but she has leverage over Peter. She can expose his role in abducting Drew in Afghanistan. He says he doesn’t know what she’s talking about, and she says she has documentation to spark his memory. He asks what she wants, and she says, a meeting. Call when he’s ready to talk. If she doesn’t hear from him, there will be consequences. Maxie and Spinelli join him, and Maxie asks if he’s okay. Spinelli says he looks like he’s seen a ghost.
Jason tells Sonny, a lot more patients have been admitted to the hospital for ODs. Sonny says it’s not uncommon in the country overall, but Jason says it’s uncommon in Port Charles. He wonders if the opiates Neil OD’d on came from Cyrus. If Cyrus is bringing drugs into Port Charles, he found the ultimate way and the ultimate route. Sonny says, the hospital.
Julian says he knows Taggert from the pier. He was there when Julian was trying to stop Nelle from taking Wiley. Taggert says he doesn’t know what Julian is talking about. He’s not that guy. Julian apologizes, and says let him make it up. What’s his poison? On the house. Taggert takes off, and Julian runs after him.
Ryan says Nikolas was never her Prince Charming, and she says he thinks he is? He says he knows he is. She can’t expect him to take her word; he needs proof. She takes out the fake papers, and holds them up against the glass, saying, signed, seal, and delivered. She flashes back to telling Nikolas that they’ll have to do something about the divorce papers, and he says, it doesn’t matter. She didn’t think he’d risk everything, did she? Ava tells Ryan, it’s what he asked for; her divorce papers. Signed by both her and Nikolas, sealed by the state of New York, and delivered to him. She’s officially single, without a title, and the Cassadine fortune, all for him. He says it wasn’t for him. She did it to save her brother’s life. She says, if he thinks so. Now it’s his turn. Give her Nelle’s letter.
Nikolas asks Elizabeth if she’s covering for Franco. Was Franco having him followed? She says she led him on with Franco’s knowledge and support, and he asks, why? She says, the night of the Nurses Ball, she overheard Ava telling Nina that she was trying to push them together, because if Nikolas cheated, the post-nup would kick in. Everything started to make sense. She’d felt like she and Franco were drifting apart, but they were being pulled apart him by him. He admits he pushed Ava toward Franco, and she says he played a game with her marriage and her happiness, when he swore he wanted their friendship back. He says he’s sorry, but she says he can’t apologize for using her. He says he didn’t use her; the feelings were genuine. She says she loves Franco, but for some reason, he can’t accept that. When Scotty suggested they blackmail him and Ava, she was all in. She thought they would be taught a lesson, and she could take back her life and marriage.
Franco says, propensity doesn’t sound great, and asks Terry where Portia is. Terry says Portia asked her to review his CT scan, and he says, start with the good news. She says she confirmed Portia’s finding that there’s a malignant growth in his frontal lobe, and he says his brain tumor is back.
Jason asks if Sonny wants him to get Brando out of Cyrus’s organization before it blows up, but Sonny says, nothing has blown up yet, especially not the hospital. Jason says he knows the drugs are run through legitimate pharmacy companies, but Sonny says if they get on that, the Feds will come in, and they don’t need the attention. Jason says the hospital makes Cyrus look legitimate, and he knows they won’t put innocent people in harm’s way. Sonny says, they need to take their time getting Cyrus’s drug operation out of Port Charles. The lights go out.
Valentin tells Anna not to pick up the glass with her hands, and asks if she has a dustpan. She says, in the kitchen, when the lights go out. She says, oh no, but he says, it’s all right; they can pick up it up later when the lights come back on. He asks if she needs to check on Violet, but she says Violet is out trick-or-treating with Chase, and then has a sleepover. He asks if she has a flashlight, and she says she’s not going break, but he says she’s not unbreakable. She’s been through a shock, and needs to feel it. She says, it’s not just that Peter isn’t her son. Alex is probably laughing at her. He says she’s laughing at him too. She knows he gave Peter to Faison, thinking he was Anna’s son, and knew the shame he felt. He wanted to be connected to the boy, and she knew the resentment he felt toward the only woman he cared about. She knew there was nothing he could do, and she was laughing at both of them. Anna says, maybe they didn’t deserve that kind of pain, but they’re better equipped to deal with it than Peter. She’s terrified what it’s going to do to Peter, and that he’ll lose faith in himself and his life. Valentin says, Peter is a big boy. They need to find Alex, and eliminate the threat. Anna says, Alex knows Maxie is carrying her grandchild, and they need to be prepared.
Peter tells Maxie that he wanted to go live with a story, and time was of the essence. Now the server is down. Maxie asks if Spinelli can fix it, but Peter says, IT is on it. She says she thought he might leave her stranded on her birthday. The storm probably canceled Georgie’s plans for trick-or-treating, and she was hoping for pictures. Spinelli says, Georgie does make a beautiful Elsa. Maxie says she’s going to check on Georgie, even though Georgie is with her mom. Spinelli says he hopes she only gets the happiness she deserves, and Maxie says she will.
Franco says, so his tumor is back, and Terry tells him, it seems to have reoccurred in the same area. She’s sorry. He says he doesn’t have any symptoms, and he’s nothing like the person he was last time. She asks if he’s had any vivid dreams or nightmares. Besides fainting, has anything unusual or unexpected happened? He flashes back to his nightmare about Ava, and thinks about when Ava’s painting was defaced. He says, none; just fainting. She says, the symptoms are likely to increase as the tumor progresses, and the preliminary findings show that the tumor is inoperable.
Nikolas tells Elizabeth, he paid Scotty by check, but it was never cashed. Did she change her mind about blackmailing him? She says she realized she went too far, and Nikolas says, she can try as hard as she can, but she can’t beat him. And he’s very grateful for that.
Ryan asks, what letter? and she says he promised to give her Nelle’s letter when she divorced Nikolas. He says Nelle wrote him so many letters. One describing her beautiful new house, and a very sad one where she said how much she loved her son, and was going to be devastated if she didn’t get custody. And one telling him that Julian knew about Brad replacing Willow’s poor deceased newborn with Sonny’s grandson. She says he knows that’s the one she means. He tells the guard, be a pal and get Mrs. Cass… Sorry. Get Miss Jerome the letter he gave him earlier. Ava says he has the guards doing him favors, and he says, considering he doesn’t know when he’ll see the outside world again, it helps to pay certain people to do certain things. The guard gives Ava an envelope that’s been opened, and Ryan asks if it’s what she wanted. She says he knows it is, and I wonder why she isn’t checking to make sure it is. She tells him, take a good long look. it’s the last one he’s ever going to get. She hangs up the phone, and takes out the letter. It says, do you think I’m stupid? Ryan says, oops. What did I just say? I can’t believe Ava is that stupid.
Franco wonders why the tumor can’t be removed, and Terry says her preliminary assessment is that they can’t remove it, but it’s just the first step in a complex process. They need to take more tests; a biopsy, and a PET scan. They have to get all the viable information before discussing options. Franco says, if they do all that, and still can’t operate, what happens to him?
Nikolas tells Elizabeth, he was hell bent on winning back the Cassadine fortune. He didn’t care what he did or who he did it to. That’s how he got in this mess in the first place. She said both of them were blackmailed. Does that mean there are compromising pictures of Franco and Ava?
Ryan asks if Ava really thought she could fool him with fake divorce papers and no wedding ring. His cellmate was a forger, and taught him all the tricks of the trade. Ava insists it’s not a forgery, but he says she can’t convince him it’s real, or that she’s divorced that cloying puppy dog. He starts yelling that the women he’s loved are all alike. She thinks she can use him because he loves her. The guard grabs him, and he yells that she’s a liar and traitor. She’ll pay. He screams her name as the guard drags him out.
Julian sees Taggert’s mask on the floor, and picks it up, saying, who the hell are you, buddy? He sees the phone, and looks at the picture of Taggert and Trina.
Sonny tells Jason to get a flashlight, and Jason says he’ll check on the generator. Jason leaves, and someone comes up behind Sonny. Without turning around, Sonny asks, who are you? He turns around, drawing his gun, and sees it’s Taggert.
Valentin tells Anna, he left a message with an associate who’s an excellent tracker. No more delays or second thoughts. They need to find Alex. Anna asks if they’re going back to their original plan to lure Alex to Port Charles, but Valentin says, that’s not enough. They need to neutralize her. She asks if it’s strategy or revenge because Alex hurt him, and he says he doesn’t think that’s relevant. Alex was prepared to kill her, and still wants her dead. She thinks he should go now, but he says, when he’s gone, nothing changes. It’s a question of who lives; her or Alex. He’s playing the game too, and chooses her.
Maxie tells Peter, the storm is moving. Georgie and James will still get in some trick-or-treating. Can they get in some more birthday celebration, or does he need to check the server? He says his phone is off. He has it on silent. He’s all hers. She says, sooner or later, the storm will clear up, and he says, it certainly will. We see an incoming call to Peter from Anna.
Spinelli sneaks down an office corridor, and goes into a room. Sam is sitting at a computer, and startles him. He apologizes for keeping her in suspense; he wanted to check on his daughter’s Halloween plans. She says, did it work? and he says, like a charm. She smiles.
Anna gets Peter’s voicemail, and says, damn you, Alex.
Peter asks what Maxie is thinking, and she says, not only does Peter make a handsome groom, he’s going to make an equally handsome groomsman at Anna’s wedding. He says she’ll be an equally beautiful bridesmaid, and a stunning bride. She says, that has a nice ring. She meant what she said about the wedding and the baby. They have a lot to forward to next year.
Sam thanks Spinelli, saying, it’s brilliant. Once they got real usable audio, they were able to generate a duplicate voice, and all the rest fell into place. Peter thinks Helena is alive and well. Spinelli says, it’s reasonable to assume Helena was aware of Drew’s abduction in Afghanistan, and most likely recruited Peter to facilitate the order in the first place. Sam says, anyone who’s found out about it, ends up dead. Peter’s tied off a lot of loose ends. Spinelli says, if he thinks Helena is a threat, he’ll want to tie her off permanently. Then they can show Maxie who her fiancé really is.
Sonny tells Taggert, nice of him to dress up, and Taggert says, happy Halloween. Sonny asks if he isn’t too old for trick-or-treating. Jason comes back, and Sonny tells him, check the building security;make sure no one is lurking around. He asks Taggert why he came back, and Taggert says he heard what’s been going on. How many have to die before they do something about Cyrus? Sonny says he can’t abracadabra and make Cyrus disappear. Even if he could, they don’t know Cyrus is responsible for Neil’s OD. Taggert says, the body count keeps rising, and he’s not watching while his daughter gets caught in the crossfire again next time.
Julian looks at the phone and asks himself, what’s the connection? Is there a connection? Ava comes in, and he says, that doesn’t look like a happy face. She says she doesn’t have happy news. She needs a double vodka straight. He asks, what happened with Ryan? and she says, Ryan saw right through the phony papers. He’s not happy. She chugs the vodka.
Nikolas says he and Elizabeth have been friends for so long, he can read every expression. What happened with Franco and Ava? She says, they kissed, and he says, spontaneous combustion? She says he manipulated them like she did him. The plan worked. Both he and Ava broke the contract, so neither one of them can use it against the other. He’ll have to find another way to end his marriage… if that’s what he’s going to do. He has to go, and she says, don’t tell her that he’s sorry; show her.
Terry tells Franco, the side effects will increase as the tumor grows. His sense of taste and smell; he might lose time, or have a personality shift. He asks if there’s a time limit, but she says, not until they run all the tests. She knows it’s a lot to take in. She’ll give him some time to talk to Elizabeth. He asks her not to tell Elizabeth about it; not yet. She says Elizabeth is his wife, and it’s going to impact her life. She has the right to know. He says Terry thinks he doesn’t know that? He needs her to promise him that she won’t say anything to Elizabeth about this.
Terry asks how he can’t tell Elizabeth? They’re potentially talking life and death. He says, please. He just needs a little time. She says the doctors and nurses will do everything in their power to help him, but he has to meet them halfway. Let his family go through it with him. He says he doesn’t want it at all. Cameron is looking at college; Aiden is his little sous chef; and he helped Jake with his costume. Jake wants to be Jack Sparrow; that’s where his head is at. They have beautiful, loving hearts, and he doesn’t want them to worry or be sad. He’s asking her to not tell Elizabeth for a little while. There are things he needs to work out first. Elizabeth comes in, and says, sorry it took her so long. She asks what Terry is doing there.
Ava slides her glass down the bar for a refill. Julian asks how Ryan saw through her deception, and she says, he claimed his cell mate was a forger. She thinks he was expecting a double-cross, and he’s furious. He was making threats that he’s going to tell Sonny. Nikolas walks in, and she says, as usual, Julian is complaining about unreliable liquor distributors. Nikolas says, as usual, she’s lying to him. She says she went to Pentenville, and brought the phony papers to convince Ryan that they were divorced. He asks if it worked, and she says, what does he think? It doesn’t matter. Ryan can’t hurt her; not physically anyway. But he can do damage to her family. Nikolas says, Julian, and she says she doesn’t suppose Nikolas will take pity on her and divorce her for real.
Sonny says the point of Taggert playing dead was to protect Trina; Cyrus would have no leverage. If someone sees him, Trina will be in more danger than ever. He needs to stay gone. Sonny promised he’d protect her. Taggert says, he doesn’t doubt that, but if there’s a full-scale war, Sonny might not be able to keep his promise. Sonny asks if that means Taggert is staying, and Taggert says he’s just giving Sonny a heads up that he’s going to protect his daughter. Sonny says, it has to be on his terms. He’s going to stash Taggert where he and his people can keep an eye on him.
Valentin calls Anna, and says, Alex used Berlin as a starting point. She was there, and must have left a trail. Anna says, that was weeks ago; she could be anywhere now. He says he’s afraid so, and she thanks him for the update. She says she’ll be in touch. The lights come back on, and when Anna turns around, Alex is there in the black witch costume. She says, happy Halloween, sister, and knocks Anna out.
Franco tells Elizabeth that Terry stopped by to make sure he’s all right. Elizabeth thanks Terry, and Franco says, the technical diagnosis was that he’s dehydrated and exhausted. She hopes Terry read him the riot act, and Terry says, Elizabeth knows her; always looking out for Biz. Elizabeth says they have to get going. Violet is spending the night, and they’re going to have a full house. Franco says if a bunch of kids are going to be there, that means he can eat all the candy.
Nikolas tells Ava, sorry. He sees she’s taken off her ring, and she says, it was just for Ryan. She’s not ready to divorce him. He says, sorry it didn’t work, but he’ll find another way to get Ryan off her brother’s back; he promises. Julian approaches their table, and says, isn’t this the cutest? Maybe they could take their eyes off each other, and make an actual plan. Nikolas says, as soon as Julian tells him what Nelle said. He gets silence, and says he didn’t think so. He says he has calls to return, and steps away from the table. Julian tells Ava, there’s nothing to stop Ryan from showing the letter to Sonny, and Ava says, as soon as he does, he’ll have no power over her. Julian says, Ava betrayed Ryan, and he’s going to want to punish her. Sonny is the perfect revenge.
Sonny excuses himself to take a call privately. He answers, and it’s a collect call from Ryan in Pentenville.
Taggert wonders if Sonny is going to put him in a safe house, but Jason says, safe houses can be compromised, especially if someone is staying there a while. Taggert asks where he’s going, and Jason says, Sonny bought Kate Howard’s old place. It’s adjacent to Sonny’s house, so Sonny can keep him there without alerting the rest of the family. Taggert says he’ll be Sonny’s neighbor. 2020 has been a helluva ride. He ain’t kiddin’ there.
Maxie tells Peter, she can’t wait to see pictures. She knows she’s biased, but Georgie and James are the most adorable kids on the planet. Peter says, and soon to be joined by another most adorable kid on the planet. Maxie says she’ll be right back. She gets up, and says she knows Peter is worried about work, but whatever problems he’s having, he’ll find a way around them. She leaves.
Sam tells Spinelli that Peter never confirmed his involvement when he spoke to Helena. Spinelli says, Peter is too cagey for a direct admission. That will come when he reacts to Helena’s call. Sam says, speak of the devil, and hooks the computer into a phone. Peter is calling.
Sam and Spinelli listen in as Peter tells faux Helena, if she is who she says she is, they need to meet. Tomorrow night. Sam and Spinelli fist bump.
Alex answers the door to the trick-or-treaters, and says, don’t you look to die for? She passes out candy, while Anna lies unconscious in the basement.
On Monday, Carly tells Josslyn, today is her first election; a mock election involving woman’s suffrage is held; and Trina tells Josslyn, they’re making choices and making their voices heard.
I listed a few of my favorites yesterday, but also adding Cabin In the Woods today. It’s a relentless masterpiece. I’d read the book before I saw the film, and remember thinking, there’s no way they could get the grand finale on film, much less make it look believable. Yet, they did.
They might be in drag, but Trixie and Katya are never a drag. And they have a lot to say about some horror film classics.

It might not be the same this year, but don’t let the pandemic bring down your Halloween spirit. Play by the rules, but by all means, do some playing this weekend. Zoom your Halloween, TikTok a Halloween dance, enjoy the wide array of horror films available, carve a pumpkin or make a pie with it, eat all the candy if you have no trick-or-treaters, but be smart about passing out candy if you do. Stay safe, stay responsible, and stay conjuring up the kid in you, and being creative on this most creative of holidays. Most of all, have a Happy Halloween!
