What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Elizabeth unwraps the painting of the brothers. She tells Franco it’s all his – again.

Molly asks Alexis to breakfast at Charlie’s. TJ and Curtis join them. TJ starts to talk about their landlord, and Alexis has the feeling it’s not just breakfast Molly invited her for. They want to take the landlord down, and Alexis says they’ll need good counsel. Molly says, that’s her.

Ned and Michael meet at the MetroCourt. Michael doesn’t want to sacrifice the character of the Charles Street neighborhood for development, but Ned says there’s a way to keep it, and still make money. Since Mayor Lomax is out, it’s a whole new ball game. Michael says they need to make sure they’re not pitting ELQ against the residents.

By the bar, Julian tells Olivia-Q that she has knack for business. She asks what he wants. He says the same thing she does; what’s best for their son. That means more time with his father.

Jordan brings Anna coffee at the hospital. Finn is stable. Anna explains that Cassandra forced a dose of her synthetic opioid on him. She says they’ll have to charge her with assault or attempted murder, but Jordan says first they have to find her. She’s disappeared.

In Tulum, Mexico, Laura peruses a travel book. Doc thinks they should skip sightseeing, and explore each other. She says they have the rest of their lives to do that. He wants to save the Mayan Ruins for next time, and spend time with her now, before she becomes mayor.

Molly tells Alexis that the heat was off again last night, and it’s not the only thing. There’s been no basic maintenance either. Alexis says negligence isn’t exactly harassment. They have to prove deliberate intent. She tells them to keep a record, and Molly says she’s been documenting everything. Alexis says they’ll have to write a letter, and take it to the court, but the landlord will probably just end up paying a fine.

Ned shares Michael’s concerns about Charles Street, he’s just asking Michael to keep an open mind. A man joins them, and Ned introduces him as Jim Harvey from Niagara Equities. He says they share ELQ’s vision for Charles Street. Michael says he’s aware of their reputation of closing a deal – better to apologize than ask permission. Jim says they take pride in finding diamonds in the rough, and turning them into precious gems. Michael reminds Ned that Tracy used to say, even the most expert jeweler has to be careful in cutting a diamond. One small slip can destroy it.

Franco tells Elizabeth he’s not hanging the painting in the house. It’s just another monument to his mom’s secrecy, like the card she sent. Elizabeth says he’s been distracted since he saw it. He says he doesn’t know what’s true or not, and it’s the latest reminder. Elizabeth says at least she took the negative energy and secrets with her. Now they deal in the truth. They kiss, and Franco suggests she call in sick, but she has to go to work. When she leaves, he looks at the painting.

Anna tells Jordan there’s no way Cassandra roused herself and walked off. Jordan doesn’t know what to say. If Anna hadn’t seen it for herself, she would have thought it never happened. Anna says it sounds like a professional wipe-down. Jordan says they have a missing woman who allegedly assaulted her and Valentin, and Finn is in the hospital with an OD. What kind of operation has Anna been running?

Laura is flattered, but asks why Doc is bringing it up. He thinks she’s uniquely qualified to be mayor. She says she has every intention of fighting for Charles Street, but wants the subject tabled. She’s excited to be there, and wants to see the ruins.

Jordan says Anna had a WSB operation in her jurisdiction. It would have been nice to get a heads up. She asks what possessed Anna to involve Finn? Anna says that Cassandra is a hypochondriac, and Finn is a disease specialist; it was a match made in heaven. She tried cutting him loose after they got back from Morocco, but he wanted to stay involved, and he was a good operative. Jordan says she was led to believe he made a mistake somewhere, and asks how Cassandra got wise. Anna says he didn’t make a mistake; she did.

Olivia tells Julian not to push his luck. He says he needs more time with his son. She knows it’s a foreign concept, but doing the best for Leo comes first. Julian says he was exonerated, and he’s rebuilding his life. He just bought a new business.

Kiki drops in on Franco. He thought she was visiting with Dillon, and she says that was the plan. She’s so angry, she wants to break something, and asks if he has a vase he doesn’t like. He gives her Betsy’s card to tear up. He asks if she feels better, but she says not really. She got to the airport, and because of snowstorms, flights were either delayed or canceled. Dillon had to get back to Los Angeles, and she had to get back to studying. She sees the painting, and Franco says it’s like a karmic boomerang. She thinks maybe it’s trying to tell him something.

Anna tells Jordan that the OD was forced on Finn. Cassandra turned her product into a weapon. Elizabeth arrives to check on Finn. Jordan says they still need to question Valentin, but Anna says he won’t know anything. He was tied to a chair with her all night. Elizabeth comes back, and says Finn is asking for Anna.

Finn motions for Anna to come near the bed. She tells him she’s sorry, sorry, sorry, and he tells her to shut up. He came back to her place to celebrate, and found Cassandra there instead of her. She did this to him; he didn’t use. Anna says she never thought he did, and hates that he has to go through this again. He takes her hand, and Anna asks what happened. He tells her that Cassandra knew everything. She threw white powder into his face, and said she was going to keep him on drugs to force him into working on the formula. Then she threatened Anna, and he couldn’t let Cassandra hurt her.

Jim shows Ned and Michael an artist’s rendering of the idea for Charles Street. Luxury condos and office space, incorporating the existing architecture. They can preserve the existing façade and character on the outside, while inside, it’s state of the art. It’s visually less disruptive, and ties everything together, but it’s all brand new. The most exciting thing is the ELQ Arena, designed to host professional hockey and basketball, but it will also be the home to concerts, conventions, and high-profile events. Michael says they thought of almost everything. What happens to the residents? Will they be incorporated in, or forced out to pave the way for the arena?

Molly doesn’t understand why the lack of heat and maintenance isn’t harassment. Alexis says they have to prove intent. She suggests they find out who else is having problems in the area, and go for a class action suit. Molly says they’ve never even seen the landlord, but Curtis says he’ll get the proof to nail them.

Jordan asks Anna how Valentin is involved. Anna says he had a history with Cassandra, so she went to him. Jordan wonders why he’d comply, and Anna tells her about Cassandra wanting him to work with her, and threatening his wife and child. Jordan asks where he might have gone, and Anna thinks probably the MetroCourt, since it was their anniversary. Anna believes one of Cassandra’s associates must have gotten her. She’s concerned Cassandra will come after Finn, and says they need to get her in custody. Jordan says she seems worried about him, and Anna says he’s her responsibility. Jordan says maybe more than that.

A blizzard warning interrupts the show, but I don’t miss much.

Curtis is all for family helping family, and says while he tries to work within the law, he might have to go into some grey areas. Alexis reminds him that she can’t use anything illegal. He suggests a don’t ask, don’t tell approach, and asks if she can live with that. She smiles.

Julian tells Olivia that he owns Charlie’s Pub now. She asks if this makes him a paragon of virtue, but he says he’s trying to put down roots, and it’s the cornerstone of the neighborhood. He proved that when they fed the homeless on Christmas. He wants Leo to be proud of him as a father, unlike her trophy husband. He walks over to Ned’s table, and helps himself to a piece of bacon, calling Ned “Ted.”

Ned asks where they were, and Michael says talking about the high cost of progress. He asks what about affordable housing? Jim says they’ll do what’s best for everyone. It’s not the first time they’ve encountered pushback from a neighborhood, but the former mayor supported their vision. Michael says he’ll give the proposal consideration. Jim tells him to take his time, but not too much. They have other investors who are interested, but ELQ is their first choice. Jim leaves, and Ned asks if Michael is trying to kill the deal. Michael says since he’s been at the helm of ELQ, there’s been growth potential, but they also need to practice good corporate citizenship, and doesn’t think Ned gets it. Ned says they still need to turn a profit. Charles Street will make someone a boatload of money, and he’d like it to be them.

Franco says he should destroy the painting. Kiki grabs it, saying it means something. He wanted a clean slate, but hasn’t painted single thing. Whatever was in the past, is still in the present, and the painting reminds him of it. He has unfinished business. A lot of that going around this week.

Anna tells Jordan that Finn is her friend, and she has feelings about what happens to him. She had him plant a bug; something simple, since he wasn’t an experienced operative. That also made it more easy to detect. Cassandra discovered it, realized she’d been betrayed, and targeted him. Jordan gets a call, and steps away. Elizabeth approaches Anna. She says she doesn’t know the details, but Finn pretends to be impervious and that the world is a joke, but he’s susceptible to the same feelings they all share. Life is random and uncertain, and what gets us through is the people we connect with. If there’s a chance of happiness, she should go for it.

On the phone, Jordan says she’s still at the hospital. She asks when and where? She tells Anna that an agent got word to her that Cassandra has been located. Anna says, get her.

Doc explains symbols on a piece of pottery to Laura. He says the most important one is the sun. Legend has it that if they don’t have someone good and wise to lead them, the private and public worlds collide or fall apart. Civilization can disappear. She asks if he found the pottery in the ruins. He says he did, and he could get locked up for having it. She wonders about the ancient hieroglyphic that says made in Taiwan. Doc says the point is she can do the job and be great. He’ll give all his support, and even kiss a baby and wear a First Dude T-shirt. She has to want it though; it’s up to her.

Alexis says what Curtis doesn’t disclose doesn’t concern her. TJ and Molly are to keep their heads down, and let Curtis do his job. They don’t want the landlord tipped off. Julian arrives, and they basically ignore him. TJ and Molly are going to check code violations, and Alexis tells them to go on ahead. Julian asks if she wants to talk about it. She says, nope, and he says he didn’t think so.

Michael recalls Edward’s cardinal rule of never seeming too anxious. Ned is concerned they’ll find another partner, but Michael says they want the Quartermaine name as a stamp of approval. They can’t buy that kind of endorsement. Ned asks if Michael is willing to risk losing the deal to save some crummy apartments. They start to argue, and Olivia steps in. Ned says Michael brought him back on board to deliver, but Michael says he needs time to go over it. Ned says there’s no such thing as a perfect deal, and Michael reminds him that he’s the CEO. Ned tells him to shove his title. Michael can run ELQ into the ground if he wants. He quits.

Franco tries to give Kiki the painting, but she thinks it’s there for a reason only he can figure out. She has to go, and brought some Christmas gifts for him and the family. She hopes he realizes how lucky he is, and he says he does every night. She tells him whatever is haunting him, he needs to deal with it before he loses the best thing that’s happened to him.

Elizabeth checks Finn’s vitals. Anna pops in, and she says he just went to sleep. Anna stands by the bed. Finn is shaky, and she touches him. He grabs her hand, and says there’s something he needs to tell her.

Julian is glad the kids are standing up for their rights. Alexis tells him that Curtis is helping, and he asks if she thinks they might be in over their heads. She says they don’t know what they’re dealing with, and Julian says the landlord doesn’t know what he’s dealing with. He says since he’s right across the street, does she want him to keep an eye on things? She says it’s probably best he doesn’t, and he asks if that’s a yes.

Olivia tells Ned that they have to sit down and talk it through. Ned says he’s done talking; he’s out, Michael says he’s sorry it didn’t work out, but he has to use his best judgement. Since it’s a family company, the door is always open. He leaves, and Ned says the new year is starting out with a bang. Olivia says maybe he should think of it as a blessing in disguise. Maybe ELQ’s loss is the city’s gain. He should run for mayor.

Laura loves Doc’s faith in her. She’ll go to every town hall meeting, hand out flyers, write emails, and continue to fight, but she doesn’t have to do it from the mayor’s office. Doc respects her decision. Laura points at the pottery, and tells him this hieroglyphic says they should hang a do not disturb sign on the door and get busy before catching their flight back.

Franco sleeps. He dreams about the boy in the painting telling him to open his present. He opens it, and it’s a rabbit’s foot keychain. He says it’s the best present ever. The boy says Franco is his best friend ever. Franco wakes up, and gets the rabbit’s foot out of a drawer. He says if that’s his best friend, why did he try to kill him?

Jordan asks Elizabeth to convince Anna to go home. Whatever Finn has to say can wait. Inside Finn’s room, he tells Anna that he killed Cassandra.

Tomorrow, Anna asks what’s the last thing Finn remembers, Jordan questions Valentin, and Spinelli says he got one lead that sparked two more.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey

When we last left, Siggy admitted Margaret wasn’t anti-Semantic, but thought she was anti-Siggy. At this point, so am I.

Melissa goes to the boutique, where her package has arrived from Italy. The trip to Milan opened doors for her, giving envy an advantage over the other boutiques in Jersey. Joe #2 stops by, and she shows him the purse that came. He wonders if she went all the way to Italy for that, which she knew he would say. In her interview, she says she doesn’t love serving food; she loves dressing people. Family and business is tricky, and a huge reason why she’s not into the restaurant. Joe suggests throwing parties there. Melissa says he gives her space with envy, so she’s backing off. He doesn’t think it’s fair. Really? He helps with the store? Yeah, I didn’t think so. He says maybe they’ll see each other at home.

Margaret goes by the office, and the luggage line is discussed. She says she thinks they need to work with a larger factory, and tells them the Siggy story. She felt like she had to force an apology out of her. They’re throwing her birthday gala soon, and she’s all about the dancing. She wants to walk the property to figure out the logistics, and tells Joe #3 that he has to pick up all his sh*t. Yes, he does. There are tools and construction materials everywhere. Margaret grew up on disco, and was obsessed with it. There are going to be disco balls everywhere. A renegade bee flies by, and after everyone flails their arms at it, they decide to go in. Planning over for today.

Teresa has a photo shoot for her book cover. Siggy (bleh) joins her. Siggy says in life certain people won’t mesh with you, but she’s going to try and get in a good place with Margaret. She thinks they should treat each other with kindness and respect moving forward. She and Teresa talk about Joe #1. Teresa says she can’t tell him exactly how she feels, even though Siggy is pressuring her. She’s been honest in her book though. Joe has not really apologized or taken full responsibility for putting her and the rest of the family in a horrifying position. I’m sure plenty of people think she got what she deserved and knew what she was doing, but I don’t. For one thing, I think because they’re well-known, the judge made an example of them. Like with Martha Stewart. The crime they committed was nothing extraordinary, and judging by how their marriage looked, I think he said, sign this, and she did. However, I don’t think that would ever happen again. This experience wised her up quickly. Teresa comes out in a black glittery jumpsuit, and it’s not the first time I’ve thought post-jail looks good on her. In her interview, she wants to tell Joe #1 how she feels, but to look someone in the eye is different from writing it down. She wonders where they go if he doesn’t apologize.

Frank and Dolores are taking Frankie on a college tour to Sacred Heart. They talk about his various options. Frank is liking it, because it’s like a family trip. Like the Griswold’s. Dolores says it’s a proud moment; they got their kid this far. They parented together, and it wasn’t easy, but they held it together. She’s not ready for an empty nest, and it’s starting to hit her. My advice is to get more dogs. She says it’s terrifying, and she doesn’t get scared of anything. She never went to college, and it was her goal for the kids. Geez, the rooms at Sacred Heart are huge. As big as my first apartment. Frankie wasn’t expecting it to be this nice. Frank says he’s scared, since it will just be him and Dolores in the house now.

Margaret’s ex, Jan, comes by with bagels. She makes coffee. She says they’re better friends than a couple. They’re good in small doses together. She asks who he’s bringing to her party, but he’s coming alone. She asks if there would be a chance the kids would ever speak to her again. She’s been wanting to bring it up since the retreat. She starts to cry, saying she wishes things were different. He’s the only one who lived it with her, so who else is she going to talk to? He says for a long time she was a great mother to his kids, but chose a different life. He’d be lying if he said he didn’t care. He resents what she did, but doesn’t hold it against her. She takes responsibility for hurting her husband and kids when she left. She says he’s still her family. Since the kids’ biological mother was gone early on, the two mom figures in their lives left them. She says she’s not giving up, and asks Jan to tell them she loves them. He tells her he won’t charge much for the session.

Frank and his girlfriend are on a break. Dolores says it’s simple. He needs her right now, and is back home. He says the reason he’s there is, so she can see her boyfriend. David delivers elevated risk babies, and they don’t get a lot of time together. She wants to discuss it with David, but doesn’t think there’s much more he can do. Frank asks if she thinks David appreciates her. He feels badly about their own marriage, but she says he’s made up for a lot. She thinks the timing was off, and he needed to grow on his own. He asks what if David won’t give her more time, and she says it’s the second-half of her life, so she needs to think about what she wants to do with it, and who she wants to spend it with. Oh for God’s sake, just get remarried.

Teresa is on her way to Danielle’s house to apologize to her daughters. That’s very grown up. She’s nervous, wondering how they’re going to take it. Melissa thinks it will be good for all of them.

Danielle has made tea. Teresa says they’re in a good place, but it’s hard to know her actions affected her kids. They’ve been sitting on it a long time. Danielle thanks her, but says Christine isn’t willing to sit down; she doesn’t believe anyone has changed. in her interview, Danielle says the past can’t be erased, but now that she and Teresa have reconnected, it’s not her job to make it right, but Teresa’s. Teresa thanks Jillian for meeting with her. She tells Jillian that a lot of things have happened, not all of them good. When she was in jail – it’s hard for her to even say the word – she wanted to reach out and apologize to Danielle. She says she’s open to any questions or whatever. Jillian says that when she heard that Teresa and her mom were going to yoga together, she flipped out. Danielle insisted Teresa had changed, and Jillian hoped she was right. She says she still gets repercussions that cascaded into other things. Danielle says at the time, she she told the kids to pack a bag; they were moving. It was the beginning of a rough time. Teresa says she also has daughters, so she would never want to hurt them in any way. She feels horrible, and had no idea she caused all this hurt all this time, but she’s glad they spoke. If she could, she would take it back. She says in the heat of the moment, you don’t think, and she takes full responsibility and is sorry. Jillian accepts the apology. She’s glad things are better, and they can move on. She hopes Christine can get on board, but it’s harder for her. Danielle is proud of both of them, and thinks it’s a big step to healing from the past. Wow. Even that kid is more mature than a thousand Siggys.

At Gorga’s, Joe #2 says it’s a disaster today, and they have to step it up for the launch party. Teresa and Melissa are late, and he’s behind. It hurt him that Melissa doesn’t want to be involved with the restaurant.

Margaret says her mom is going to the opening of a casual restaurant, and thinks she’s a Vegas show girl. Marge Sr. says in case she has to go off on Siggy, she’ll look good. Margaret says she got a nice text from Siggy, saying how excited she was to be invited to Margaret’s birthday party, and it’s about the Gorgas, not them.

Siggy brings her dad some food to eat outside. He’s teaching classes on the Holocaust. Siggy tells him that she just got back from Italy, and needs his opinion on something. She introduced a friend to the group, but she and the friend aren’t getting along. She tells him about Margaret calling her “Soggy” like a mean girl, and how she told Siggy that she shouldn’t be walking in the fashion benefit, because Kim D had said nasty things about Teresa. She says Margaret didn’t understand, and should have minded her own business. She told Siggy that Hitler wouldn’t have killed her, but does it make him a good person? Siggy’s father asks what’s the question? In her interview, Siggy says she’s the daughter of a Holocaust scholar and survivor. Her father says to stay away from Margaret. The whole thing doesn’t need philosophizing (we’re in agreement there). It’s never appropriate to mention Hitler, and she should apologize. Siggy says she did, but then Siggy called her an anti-Semite. He says Siggy shouldn’t have done that. He doesn’t know Margaret’s personal feelings, so he can’t be sure of it. Of course, Siggy is leaving out that Margaret’s husband and children are Jewish, along with a few other facts, but okay. Siggy says Margaret brings out the worst in her, and her father says the best way to handle it is to not to get involved or say things she might regret. Siggy says Margaret has succeeded in turning her upside down. Her father tells her to be polite, but keep a distance.

Teresa arrives at the restaurant, and Joe #2 asks her to do something. She starts cutting the pizzas. The food looks phenomenal. She asks where Melissa is, and Joe tells Teresa that Melissa doesn’t want to be involved, but they’ll make the best of it. Melissa walks in (not much later than Teresa), and Teresa tells her that she’s shocked Melissa doesn’t want to be part of the business. Melissa tells her that she never said that. She said she didn’t want to boss Joe around. Teresa says it’s a family restaurant. She has to take it seriously, and stop with the attitude. In her interview, Melissa says she and Teresa are great alone, but when it’s the three of them, they gang up on her. I agree. She tells them to dial it down.

The guests start arriving. Marge Sr. starts looking for Siggy, and Margaret reminds her that they made up. In her interview, Margaret says if she didn’t know better, she’d think Siggy was avoiding her, but she’ll take it over an ambush. Dolores says it’s a little rude of her to ignore Marge Sr., but that’s how she is. Joe #2 calls Teresa and Melissa up for a toast. Margaret says Siggy is three feet away, and still hasn’t acknowledged her. She’s definitely purposely ignoring her. Joe says that they lost their mother two months ago, but before she got sick, they had talked about opening a restaurant. They decided to do this in her honor, and to keep the memories and recipes going forever. In her interview, Melissa says she’s not mad anymore. She loves them, loves the family, and is proud they did this for her mother-in-law.

Melissa explains to Teresa that she’s a control freak, and just wanted Joe #2 to have his own thing like she has envy. It didn’t mean she wouldn’t help. Teresa says in the beginning, Melissa was annoyed about Joe not telling her about it, but Melissa says that’s more like he surprised her in buying it. In her interview, Teresa says she’s learned that couples have to communicate, especially when it’s something big, and Joe should have informed Melissa about any business decisions. Teresa offers to help Melissa at envy if she needs it. In her interview, Melissa says she forgets sometimes that Teresa’s husband isn’t there, and she might like to spend time with her brother.

Marge Sr. asks Margaret how it’s going with Siggy, and Margaret says it’s not. Danielle thinks Marge Sr. should meet her, and goes over to ask Siggy to be cordial. Siggy refuses, because she’s a big ass rude jerk. She says she’s not walking across the room to meet someone’s mother when she doesn’t get along with the daughter. Is it me? Didn’t she say they were going to be kind and respectful? In her interview, she says it would just be another ambush and “The Sig” ain’t stupid. Yes, she is, and apparently doesn’t know the definition of polite, which is what her father suggested she be. Danielle says she’s not going to force her. In her interview, Margaret wonders why she’s being so rude. After she got the text about the birthday party, she thought they’d made up. She doesn’t rescind invitations, and has good manners, but also wouldn’t say she’s never effed anything up. She tells Danielle she’s never kicked anyone out of her home, and Danielle says there’s a first time for everything.

Next time, Siggy is apprehensive (please), Teresa visits Joe #1 in jail, and Margaret’s party happens.

January 1, 2018 – A Vanderpump Mini-cap & a Little Shep

Standard

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

Although today was a holiday, Bravo decided not to take the night off. Andy Cohen is still on his endless vacation, but Lisa Vanderpump and Shep Rose were still at work, and had new episodes tonight. I rode the fence by watching, and making a CliffsNotes version of the usual post. Not nearly as annoyingly detailed, but possibly still rambling. It’s going to be another week of not knowing what day it is.

Vanderpump Rules

Tom and Schwartz met with Ken and Lisa about the new restaurant, TomTom. Having partied with Jax the night before, the Toms prepped by listening to Eminem’s Lose Yourself multiple times. The meeting was at Villa Rosa, so, Giggy! Harrison! Lisa hadn’t been too thrilled with Tom’s negativity, and was thisclose to severing ties. She finally relented, with the guys kicking in $50K each for 5% ownership each, considerably less than Lisa’s original request of $120K for 10%. In her interview, Lisa said she just pulled the figure out of her “English ass,” but it was highly unlikely that they could get the restaurant off the ground for $1.2 million.

Jax came home while the girls were still there, griping that it was his house. He started in with the I-pay-for-everything crap, and Brittany lost her cool, smacking him around and telling him to get out. He refused to budge, then tried to deflect the blame, saying it was the fault of Brittany’s girlfriends, who filled her head with nonsense. This went over about as well as you’d think it would.

Lala started her return on the right foot by telling Scheana and Ariana that Schwartz made out with one of her friends when he was drunk – after he was married to Katie. The friend said he kept calling her “Bubba,” which is their pet name for each other, so who knows? Maybe he thought she was Katie. Claiming that she had intended to keep it to herself, Lala made this announcement in retaliation for Katie saying her boyfriend is married. During a private conversation. With big mouth Scheana present. Lala declared Katie no longer safe, because Katie “messed with her relationship.” Funny though, I could have sworn Lala said he was separated on Watch What Happens Live. Regardless, it seemed like an overreaction. Katie had actually apologized afterwards, but Scheana left that part out. Of course, nothing is private with this group, so Katie took her chances. Lala immediately reverted back to her creepy, insecure ways by hoping Katie’s marriage came to an end over this.

Stassi planned LVP’s partner Guillermo’s birthday party at SUR, and Lisa seemed pleased with the results. Stassi had the guests take Polaroid selfies and put them in a scrapbook for the birthday boy, which is an idea I love. Ariana called Schwartz out about Lala’s friend in private during the party, and he claimed not to remember. Déjà vu, anyone? No surprise, the news traveled fast, and Schwartz said, I have no recollection, more times than I could count, and compared himself to a werewolf. Lisa was like, wtf? and told us she’s taking it personally, since she was their officiant. Katie was wearing amazing gigantic black and gold earrings, and it was like the battle of the earrings when she was talking to Lisa, who had humongous gold and gemstone danglers hanging from her ears. It kept diverting my attention.

At another bar, Jax and James got drunk on absinthe, which James described tasting like a little green fairy that goes down your throat and rips your balls off. That really doesn’t sound like much fun to me. Next time, Katie lays down the law to Schwartz.

👱  RelationShep continues to be a fun watch. Andy Cohen referred to Shep as a human Golden Retriever, and I think that’s pretty accurate. He’s goodhearted and pleasant, and has better manners than the Golden I had. The girls seem nice enough, but now they’ve been shoved together in a house, which doesn’t always bring out the best in people. Tonight, after “over-drinking,” houseguest Peyton grumbled to Shep, wondering what he could possibly see in someone fresh out of college, referring to Kylie, who is twenty-two. To be fair, Shep had asked Peyton how it was going, and she started by telling him it was an awkward dating situation. She ended up walking out (of the conversation, not the house), and Shep considered this a “public confrontation.” I guess it is where he comes from, but I would have considered it more like cross words in the kitchen. Shep and Cameran (Southern Charm) met for lunch, and she told him it could be a signal that Peyton is needy. I’d like to know how Cameran would have felt if she had to live with several women vying for her man. Arden realized that, although Shep is a nice guy, there was no connection, and packed her bags. Summer showed up uninvited, and Shep felt the only right decision would be to put her up in a hotel. When she arrived, complete with her French bulldog, and was told she couldn’t stay there, she did not seem too happy about it. I would have let the dog stay. Many of the Southern Charmers have made appearances, since the house is in Charleston. Unlike The Bachelor, the next step is for the final four to live in separate dwellings, which at least alleviates some of the pressure. It seems Shep feels it as well, knowing that, like dogs with bones, the girls are keeping an eye on him and noting how much time he spends with each. I’ve always had multiple pets, and there have been a few I would swear mentally logged how much attention I paid to the other ones. These contestants/houseguests/potential girlfriends are kind of like that.

🎉 Hope your New Year’s Eve was everything you wanted, and nothing you didn’t.

🎅 Drum sez: Hope youse had a Merry Christmas! 🎅

Moving on…

General Hospital

Anna and Finn go to the gym. He wonders why she wanted him there, and she tells him self-defense lessons.

At Kelly’s, Valentin tells Nina that Lulu is late with Charlotte, but he’s not giving her the satisfaction of being annoyed. Lulu and Charlotte arrive, and Nina tells Charlotte that they waited to open their presents. Charlotte tells Valentin that she asked Santa for something special, and asks if he thinks Santa brought it. He says Santa is magic, so perhaps he did. Lulu asks if they read her article, because that totally fits with the conversation.

Maxie and Nathan talk to Kim about Nathan’s medical history. He wonders if the records really belong to Victor.

Peter goes to Sam’s office. She asks if he’s ready to go over the projections for next year, and he says he’s more concerned if there’s going to be a next year. He asks her who actually owns the company?

Sonny knocks on Drew’s door, telling him, merry Christmas. Drew says it was yesterday, and Sonny says he knows, and their families didn’t even check in with each other. He’d like to fix that.

At the station, Jordan tells Dante that Mayor Lomax canceled their meeting. She’s been in a closed-door meeting of her own all day. Jordan wonders where Lulu got the proof about the election, and Dante tells her at Windemere.

Valentin tells Charlotte to get some cookies to take home. Lulu wonders if there’s something about the article Valentin doesn’t want Charlotte to know. He says not unless she wants to explain to her how she used Charlotte’s Christmas list to snoop around Windemere. The election happened before he moved there, and Spencer had found the ballot box. While Spencer had no idea what he’d found, Valentin says the ballots had been counted then. Now, all these years later, Lulu finds them, and it leads her to believe the election was thrown. She says she doesn’t think Spencer did it, and Valentin says that would be sophisticated even for him, but not for his father. He thinks she should start working on a follow-up article on how Spencer’s father threw the election.

Peter tells Sam that he doesn’t mean to be obtuse, but Jason Morgan’s money was used to buy the company, so isn’t the company his? Sam says it’s already been discussed, and Jason gave the company to them. Peter says it’s a generous gift, and Sam says Jason is a generous guy. He wonders if she wants to put it on record, and do a story about the brothers from a personal angle. She tells him absolutely not, and he says she can’t blame him for trying.

Drew invites Sonny in. Sonny says the last time they saw each other was at the police station, when Drew accused him of paying Andre to lie. Drew admits he was wrong, but says it made sense at the time. Sonny says he thought Drew was Jason, but now that they know truth, he wants Drew to know he’s still his friend.

Anna tries to get Finn to warm up. She tells him that he could be in a fight for his life. He says he’s not completely helpless, and thinks he can look after himself. She flips him onto the mat.

Nathan tells Kim that his mom could have put Victor’s name on someone else’s records. Kim says that’s illegal, but Maxie says that’s not a problem for Nathan’s mother. Nathan tells her about the Cassadines’ blood disorder history. Kim says Nathan has been tested, and isn’t a carrier, but whoever the records belong to, was never tested. Maxie tells Nathan that there’s really no way to know who his father is without a DNA test. Nathan says he’s only worried about the baby being affected.

Lulu says the ballots don’t prove that Nicolas did anything untoward. Valentin asks if it isn’t her job to find out, or at least the job of a journalist with integrity. Charlotte comes back, saying they’re making a new batch of cookies. Lulu tells her how great it was to spend Christmas together, and is looking forward to many more. When she leaves, Nina asks Charlotte how her Christmas was, and Charlotte says it was fine, but she missed her and papa.

Anna helps Finn up. He says he was trying to bow out gracefully, and she tells him that she was making a point. He tells her that later, he’ll dazzle her with his doctor moves. Anna says he’s going up against professionals. Finn says his only goal is putting Cassandra out of business. Anna says the whole thing could be trap, and it’s her operation. She brought him into this kicking and screaming, and then he refused to go. She can’t let anything happen to him. He asks why not? Isn’t he just another asset? She says he’s more than that, and he knows it.

Peter tells Sam that he’ll have the projections by the first of next week. Crimson is still the most consistent performer, and there was a bump in circulation from the Ask Man Landers story; it touched a lot of hearts. That’s what he meant by a personal angle. The publisher in him can’t help regretting the story that got away. They discuss the Lomax story, and how it looks like she stole the election. Sam says according to her mother, apparently Lomax likes to abuse the power of her office. Peter asks if Alexis would like to talk about it for the magazine, but Sam says no. He says it seems like her family wants to publish the news, not be in it, but if she was to publicize a story about Drew, some people might come forward with information.

Drew appreciates and respects Sonny coming, and doesn’t want to disrespect it by saying meaningless words. Sonny is still his friend, and he’s looking at his best friend and brother, but those feelings aren’t real. He doesn’t know what he’s supposed to do with that. They belong to someone else.

Sonny says he never knew Drew like he knew Jason, but that doesn’t change that Drew saved his life. It wasn’t Jason who kept him alive or went after Morgan to save him from himself; it was Drew. Drew says he loved Morgan, and he’s sorry. He should have been able to save him. Sonny says he tried, and he honors Drew for that. He’ll always be grateful, and he’s still his friend.

Kim tells Nathan that the goal is to get records that are as complete as possible, but the key word is “possible.” Is he reasonably sure these are his father’s records? Nathan says, reasonably, and Kim says then he’s done what he can. They’re on track to have healthy baby. Out in the hallway, Nathan asks Maxie if he’s paranoid. She says as long as the records are accurate, who cares about the name on them?

Sam drops by Kim’s office, and wants to talk to her about Drew.

Lulu comes to the station. Jordan tells her that whatever she hears there is off the record. Lulu agrees, unless it’s something good. Then she’ll ask whoever said it if she can use it. Jordan says she can live with that compromise, and tells her, nice work. Dante tells Lulu that if the election is invalid, Lomax could face criminal charges, so why doesn’t she seem happy? Lulu says maybe she didn’t dig deep enough. She’s going to have to do a second article, and Nicholas probably threw the election.

Nina tells Charlotte about how Valentin let the staff have the night off, and made dinner himself. Then they went outside for a walk, and watched for Santa. Valentin says it’s hard for grown-ups to see Santa, but he thinks he saw a sleigh out of the corner of his eye. Nina tells her that when they came back, the stockings were filled, and presents were under the tree. Cassandra walks in, and says, what a charming sight; Valentin Cassadine and family.

Finn thinks Anna is implying that she might care about him, and she says she cares about his safety. He asks if the kiss meant nothing, and Anna calls it an unwanted distraction. Finn asks if she’s sure, and she says she doesn’t know. He moves closer as if to kiss her, and places his hand on her neck. She keels over, and he says he’s not entirely helpless.

Lulu tells Dante that Nicolas was living there at the time. He could have swapped out the ballots, but he was supporting Felicia’s campaign. Dante says he had a lot of secrets, and might have wanted someone he could bribe in office, but there’s no real evidence anyway. A man from the board of elections comes in, and asks to see Jordan. He tells Jordan that the ballots are authentic, and the election is invalid.

Cassandra gifts Charlotte with a sparkly skating costume. Nina says what a coincidence that she happened come in with a gift just when they happened to be there. She tells Valentin to go with Charlotte to pick up the cookies, and that she’s got this. Cassandra says she hopes she hasn’t overstepped, and Nina startles all of us by grabbing her hair, and pulling her close. She tells her to never get near Charlotte again. Nathan and Maxie walk in, and Nathan asks if everything is okay. Nina says it is, and Cassandra was just leaving – unless she wants Valentin to escort her out. She doesn’t. Nathan asks who that woman was, and why was Nina trying to rip her hair out by the roots?

Finn helps Anna up, and tells her that he’s a doctor. He knows how to put pressure to carotid arteries. She says no one will let him get close enough, and he says she did. She tells him it was one time, and it won’t happen again. He begins to get close to her again, but his phone rings. It’s Cassandra. He says he was just thinking about her. She tells him that she wants him to review the formula, and they make plans to meet at her suite in the morning.

Drew is glad he could be there for Sonny when he thought he was Jason, but Sonny wasn’t just looking for friend. Sonny wanted a guy to do what he needed to have done, despite the effect on his family and friends. Sonny says what gives him power, could turn on him and his family if he tried to walk away. Jason has a certain loyalty that Drew didn’t have. He isn’t questioning Drew, but was just confused when he tried to distance himself.

Sam tells Kim that she spent the morning fending off the CEO of her own company. He wanted to do a story on Jason, and he made a valid point. Someone might come forward with information. Kim asks if coming to her was the next best thing, and invites Sam to sit. She asks what Sam wants to know, and Sam asks her to start off with how they met. Kim says they met in a bar in San Diego. Drew was charming, funny, respectable, and polite. He didn’t hit on her, but asked her out. He was clear right away about being deployed, and Sam asks if there was no hope for a future. Kim says, none. Their three-month relationship was about living in the present. The farthest they thought ahead was the next weekend, and the most they talked about their past was where they’d spent the Christmas before. After he left, his correspondence was vague. The only thing he’d say was that it was cold, and he had an incredible view of the night’s sky. Sam asks about him growing up, but Kim says she only got bits and pieces. He grew up in a group home. She thought he might have been lonely, but maybe it was just her own projection. He liked high school, and attended one somewhere upstate (that’s New York state for those who don’t live in the area). Kim wonders if she was any help, but Sam doesn’t know. She thinks maybe she’s doing it wrong. Andre said Drew’s past was obliterated, but when he saw Kim, he thought she seemed familiar. He had the feeling he knew her, but couldn’t pinpoint from where, and Sam thought it might be a memory coming through, the way wallpaper bleeds through when you paint over it. She was hoping if she found some information, it could jar his memory. Kim doesn’t think has anything else that can help, and Sam says sorry to bother her; it was a long shot. Kim thanks her for being kind about Oscar. Sam says he seems like a great kid, and Drew is looking forward to being his father. She’s happy for them. After Sam leaves, Kim looks at Oscar’s picture, and makes a soap opera face.

Lulu is looking for Sam at her office, and Peter sees her. He asks if she’s looking for kudos from the publisher, and she says she would like him to hold up his end of the bargain. He tells her that she got paid, but she says he promised her a position on the staff.

Nina tells Nathan that everything is fine. Hopefully, she’ll never lay eyes on that woman again, and if she does, she’ll try to control herself. Nathan tells her things going well and the baby is going to be healthy. She gets all excited, and hugs him. She has to get back to her family, hoping she can persuade Charlotte to get rid of the tacky outfit. Maxie brings Nathan some coffee, saying he looks stressed. She asks if he’s still hung up on the Victor thing. Without the DNA, there’s nothing they can do. He says he’ll have to live with uncertainty, since his mom is never going to give him any information. Maxie decides to stay at Kelly’s for a while.

Finn says the lesson is over. Anna says it wasn’t much of one. She threw him on his ass, and he gave her the Vulcan death grip. Finn is certain he can lure Cassandra into close proximity. He tells Anna that before she gives him a litany of warnings, he has no intention of getting killed. He has too much to live for – Roxie, his patients… and other things. He has this. He tells her to wish him luck. She says he’ll need more than luck.

Sonny says that when Drew said no to a legit project, he accepted it, but it didn’t make sense. When Jason came back, it did. Drew tells him it sounds like Jason does whatever he asks. Sonny says they understand each other. As soon as he saw Jason, he knew it was him and said so, but he didn’t betray Drew. Drew apologizes, saying he can wrap his head around it now, but hopes Sonny understands he couldn’t at the time. Sonny’s brother is back, and he’s not Jason. As much as they might still be friends, their lives are moving in different directions, and don’t fit together. Sam walks in.

She asks if everything is okay. Sonny says he was just about to leave. He respects Drew’s choice, but if they ever need anything, just ask. Sam asks Drew what just happened. He says two guys coming to grips with reality. His life doesn’t start and stop with Sonny, but does with her, because he loves her, and that’s all that matters.

Lulu tells Peter that he said if she brought him a major story, he’d find her a position on staff. Peter says one article is only like one brick in building a house. She needs to follow up. She tells him that it was confirmed the election was invalid. He tells her to get to work; she’s on a deadline.

Dante tells Nathan it’s official, and maybe Felicia will be the mayor after all. Nathan says it’s all thanks to Lulu, and her career is off to a good start. Dante compares her to Maxie, saying they never miss an opportunity to go rogue.

Charlotte asks about Lumiere, and Nina says she’s waiting for Charlotte to feed her the Christmas presents she got. On her way out the door, Maxie plucks a hair from Valentin’s head. He’s like, hey! and she says she was just helping him polish his appearance; he’s welcome. He asks Nina what happened to playing nice with Cassandra, and she says Cassandra threatened Charlotte. He says she’s going to be leaving soon one way or another.

Anna tells Finn that she doesn’t want him unprepared or undefended. He tells her that he won’t carry a gun, but she wouldn’t dream of violating his principles. He says, that’s a change, and she says there are other ways to defend yourself.

Kim shows up at Drew and Sam’s place. She says that a strong trigger for memory is music, and gives him the CD. She tells him that he made it for her, and it contains songs he liked or had meaning for him. He says that Oscar told him about it. She suggests he listen to it, and maybe it will bring something back.

Tomorrow, Griff says Ava can’t know, Maxie asks Amy to put Nathan’s mind at rest, and Cassandra says Finn isn’t the man she thought he was.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

When we last left Vegas, LisaR had just arrived. She’s introduced to Teddi, and pretends it’s great to see everyone. Kyle feels since she extended the invitations, it’s on her, and hopes they’re all able to get along. Good luck with that. LisaR thinks the birthday celebrations are a good way to start fresh.

Erika is channeling Russian hooker along with supermodel. Whatever that means to you. Adrienne Maloof joins them, and her face looks like a balloon. Why do these women always over do it with the fillers? Erika shows up looking more like a dominatrix than anything else. Adrienne is there for a hot minute, and then disappears never to be seen again.

The ladies go out for dinner. LisaR says it was a nice surprise to be invited, and in her interview, Dorit says it was a surprise for her too. Kyle says LVP is obsessed with the huge Ferris wheel, so it’s on the agenda. Teddi explains that she’s an accountability coach for fitness. This is a thing? I could do that, yell at people to quit making excuses and work out. She says she’s struggled her entire life with her weight, and at one point weighed two hundred pounds. She wants to help other women meet their goals.

Erika and Dorit talk children. Dorit feels that Erika is a lot warmer. Erika wants to see LisaR shake her groove thing, and they move on to a club. What happened to the Ferris wheel? BTW, they look as stupid as the rest of us on the dance floor after having a few drinks. There are happy birthday messages projected onto a screen on the stage for Teddi, LisaR, Dorit, and Erika, along with their photos, which makes them all dance harder.

LisaR calls her daughters and finds out that one ordered a $280 steak. On her card. Dorit checks in with PK, and video chats with baby Phoenix. He asks about LisaR. Dorit says she’s okay, but she needs to get some things off her chest. In her interview, she says she has some unresolved issues, and she’ll feel fake if she doesn’t say anything.

Kyle, LisaR, and Camille go to the pool, while Erika, Dorit, and Teddi do some gambling. Not my thing. I played the slots in Atlantic City for a few hours once while waiting for a concert to begin, and I’m good for life. Teddi wins $800 right off the bat. In her interview, she talks about living with a roommate and eating ramen, which is why she’s tight with her money. Erika says time doesn’t exist when she’s gambling. They order cocktails. At ten in the morning. Dorit says it’s five o’clock somewhere. They discuss having a budget for gambling. That’s what I did on my foray, but I’ll bet (ha-ha) that they brought more than a few rolls of quarters. In her interview, Teddi says she’s not impressed with how much anyone is willing to spend; she’s not throwing it away. I’m with you, sister. I came home only a quarter shy. Dorit wins, and gets excited all over again about her birthday. She says dinner is on her tonight. True story. Gamblers are nuts. When I was at the casino, they still had the old pull-the-lever slot machines. Everything is electronic now, so they took away the one aspect I thought was fun. Anyway, I saw an empty one on the end of a row, and started moving toward it. This old lady pops out of nowhere, and hisses, this one is mine! I was like, lady, take it. I guess she was playing several at a time. Honestly, she frightened me.

After Vegas, Kyle is going with her family on vacation to Croatia. (sigh) LisaR wonders why there’s no young people at the pool. LVP joins the gamblers. In her interview, Erika says Vegas isn’t the place to be accountable for anything. They decide to go shopping, but frugal Teddi opts for the pool.

LVP is glad Dorit and Erika have set aside their differences. Erika says everything was said that needed to be, and it was time to move on. LVP wants to get to know Erika better. She responds to texts, but LVP isn’t feeling the warmth of friendship. In her interview, Erika says she needs to work on her TLC with the girlfriends.

Kyle commends LisaR on her entrance, and LisaR says she doesn’t tend to hold on to things. Dorit talks with the others about clearing things up, as LisaR wonders who would want to rehash anything. Erika treats LVP to some expensive skincare products.

At the pool, Camille actually gets in the water. Teddi thought going to Vegas with strangers on her birthday was going to be a disaster, but she’s having fun. Oh, just wait.

Kyle talks to Erika about Harry confronting her about Kim on the hiking trail. She told him she’s not responsible for her sister’s actions. Erika says she should let LisaR know what happened, but tread lightly.

Finally, the Ferris wheel. It’s called the High Roller. Kyle is afraid of heights, and is hesitant. She says omg over and over while getting in. She’s glad there’s a bar. Wait, this isn’t like a real Ferris wheel. This is a rich person’s Ferris wheel. The cabs are little rooms with bars in them, and the whole thing moves very slowly, taking forty minutes to go around. Kyle feels embarrassed. Geez, no one is even looking at the view. In her interview, LisaR says everyone is pretending like it’s okay, when it’s not. Kyle says it’s her last chance to talk to LisaR about Harry. Too late. Dorit hijacks her moment.

LisaR doesn’t want to rehash the past, but Dorit doesn’t want to feel like she’s going to be attacked. Erika wonders if this is the place. LisaR says PK had some harsh things to say about her, like calling her schizophrenic. She’s flummoxed that Dorit isn’t buying that he said anything bad. Apparently, Dorit didn’t watch the show. Kyle thinks Teddi should do an intervention, but she’s not interested in getting involved. Somehow, these girls have mixed up being a fitness accountability coach with being a therapist. Dorit tells LisaR she did nothing to her, and in her interview, LisaR wonders why she’s not taking responsibility for her part. She tells Dorit she knows she can seem like a bitch, but she’s not. Erika asks Kyle if she’s going to say something. Dorit says she felt like LisaR had bad intentions. LisaR says she can’t force Dorit to like her, but would like Dorit to give knowing her a chance. Dorit says LisaR hurt her, and LisaR says she’s sorry for that. Dorit agrees to start clean, and they shake on it, saying they’re grown-ups. LisaR feels like a weight has been lifted. She wants to show her girls you can be a strong woman without being a bitch.

Dorit says they agree it’s a slow process, but got it out. Kyle feels she has to say something. She tells LisaR that the day after Kim gave back the bunny, something happened, and she feels badly not having shared with her. LisaR says Harry told her about it. Kyle says she felt like Harry was an extension of LisaR, and thought it was amazing how he defended her, but she’s not fighting her sister’s battles. LisaR is sorry it happened, and says the timing was bad, but Harry loves Kyle. In her interview, Kyle is glad LisaR apologized. LVP says LisaR should understand PK’s position. LisaR says she’s learned more during her time with this group of women than in her entire life, but doesn’t say what she learned exactly. LVP has hope. LisaR says it’s hard to admit when you’re an a-hole. Erika thinks it’s a miracle that everyone is getting along, and is waiting for the other shoe to drop. Me too.

Kyle has to pack, but the others go to a really cool bar. It looks like a library with a huge gas fireplace along one wall. Erika takes the ice out of a drink, and pretends it’s a sex toy. Good thing Kameron from Dallas Housewives isn’t there. They pass the ice around. Kyle joins them, and they ask her what it looks like. She says a wiener. Ding-ding-ding! We have a wiener winner! She says she has to get moving, but she’s amazed that the trip went so well. There’s still time.

Dorit asks Teddi about growing up with her dad. Teddi says he’s laid back and chill, so there was no difference to her. Erika says she wouldn’t know, since she was twenty-five when she met her dad. It was like meeting a stranger. Her mother was eighteen when she was born, and he left when she was nine months old. In her interview, LisaR says she has empathy, and it’s another piece of the puzzle. Erika must want to protect herself. Erika says she missed out, but at the same time doesn’t feel like something is missing in her life. She has other fabulous relationships. In her interview, she says no matter what some people think, she didn’t marry her dad; her dad is much younger than her husband. In her interview, Teddi says Erika comes off like she’s too cool, but maybe she shouldn’t be trying so hard with her. Teddi tells the group that if she says anything that offends them, to tell her. They say they will. I’m surprised she even thinks she has to say that. I guess no one noticed that Teddi was asked a question, and Erika made it all about her. Just sayin’.

It’s time to leave Vegas. Dorit goes to Teddi’s room, where there’s a breakfast spread. Teddi tells Dorit that she had fun and is glad she came. They seem like a fun group. She didn’t have an immediate connection with Erika though, and thought she might be trying too hard. Dorit says it’s the first time she and Erika connected, and you have to earn her trust. It might take a while, but let things happen naturally. They toast to the successful trip. I go into shock that there were no fights. Although there’s still the airport and the plane ride home.

Next time, the construction on Kyle’s house is driving her mad, Teddi shows off her equestrian skills, and we learn more about Erika’s father.

🌆 New show Bethenny and Fredrik, revolving around real estate, begins on Tuesday, February 6th at 10 pm. Should be interesting. They both have steamroller personalities.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Nathan says there’s something wrong with the records. It’s probably nothing, but he has follow-up questions for his mother.

Well, I don’t think George Stephanopoulos is going to answer those questions, but he’s suddenly on my TV.

🎥 Missing Reel 🎥

It was only ten minutes, and I figure it’s not worth hunting for. Faison isn’t here yet. Ha-ha! Julian says Griff seems to pick and choose who deserves forgiveness. Griff says Ava is different, and Julian asks why, because she defrocked him? Griff says she’s really repentant, and wonders if Julian has ever even admitted the things he’s done are wrong. Julian says Griff has no idea. He just came to drop off gifts, but clearly it’s a bad time, and Griff and Ava have things to discuss. He gifts and runs.

Lulu fills Peter in on the election. She tells him about finding all the ballots, and says the polls suggested Felicia would win. He says polls aren’t always right, but she says it seems Felicia’s opponent stole election – how’s that for a story?

Laura asks Doc how it went with Dante. Doc says he’s on board, and asks about Lulu. Laura says Lulu was always supportive, but she’s distracted by the story she’s working on. She says Doc knows how it is when sets her mind on something. Laura looks through the pub window at the town hall meeting. Doc says he wonders where Lulu gets it, telling Laura that she’s scowling while shooting hate rays at the mayor. He says her fight is his fight.

TJ, Molly and Alexis talk at the pub. Julian walks in. Molly accuses him of being on the mayor’s side, saying since he couldn’t destroy her mom, he’s going to try to destroy the neighborhood. He says they’re on the same side. He’s a small business owner now. She asks what business he owns, and he tells her she’s standing in it.

Griff apologizes for putting Ava in the middle. She says she’s the one who did it, and he says he should have kept his anger in check. Ava says she loves her brother, but he’s smug and arrogant. If he regrets anything, he’s good at hiding it. What Griff said is true. He asks what about her, and she says that she’s somehow more worthy of forgiveness? He says he’s seen a change in her.

Nelle reads the paper at Kelly’s. She remarks that something is interesting, grabs her stuff, and walks out.

Michael meets with Ned at the pub. He says if Mayor Lomax gets her way, the people’s lives will be turned upside down. They’re going to lose their homes, and he’s not sure ELQ should be a part of it. Ned says he didn’t have a problem with the redevelopment years ago, but Michael says they weren’t tearing down people’s houses. Ned asks if he wouldn’t prefer a family who cares about Port Charles getting involved. If someone else gets the project, it could be worse. Michael tells him that he’s not saying no – yet.

Julian tells Molly that he decided it’s time to make an honest living, and used the media company sale to buy the pub. Molly asks Alexis if she was hoping to run into him, but the mayor interrupts, saying the town hall meeting is coming to order.

Lulu shows up at the station, and Dante asks what’s going on? She tells him that she needs his advice as husband, not a cop.

Mayor Lomax talks about a building a privatized park, and how it’s going to be a new chapter for the neighborhood. They’re going to make Port Charles a mid-sized business district. Molly asks what about the families who live there, and the students? Where will they go? The mayor says they’ll take questions later, but Julian says he wants to hear what they have to say, so she agrees. TJ talks about his family being new to Port Charles, and how he and Molly are renting a place there while working toward their degrees. He’s concerned about the property values skyrocketing even if they stay. The so-called progress will drive people out of their homes. Lomax says one of the reasons rents are rising is because of the influx of students living off campus. Molly says she’s deflecting by bringing in an irrelevant statistic that may or may not be true. Lomax says that TJ said his family was new to Port Charles, and Laura gets up, saying hers isn’t.

Maxie tells Felicia that she’s feeling a tsunami of doubt and anxiety. She’s never cared for an infant before. What if she’s not good enough to be a mother?

Obrecht meets with Nathan at Kelly’s, and asks what’s so important? He tells her he was on his way to drop off the medical records, and noticed some inconsistencies. She says she looked them over herself, and between her Swiss accuracy and German precision, pronounced them flawless. Nathan says Victor seemed to be in perfect health, but there’s no evidence he was tested for beta thalassemias, when it runs in the family. (I looked this up, and it’s a blood disorder.) He wonders why.

Ava tells Griff that she has a lot to atone for. When she committed those sins, her brother was a part of it. Griff doesn’t want him leading her down the wrong path, but she says she can falter on her own, despite his best efforts to redeem her. Nelle asks if she’s interrupting, but Ava tells her that Griff is on his way to work. He leaves, and Nelle asks if everything is okay. Ava says, just fine, and Nelle says she saw that Ava is hiring an assistant. Ava says she’s hired.

Laura says she’s been a resident in Port Charles since she was fifteen. It’s the place she calls home, and raised her children there. She thinks she’s qualified to speak to the historic significance. What drew her there was that it was charming and affordable, but what kept her there was the people. She talks about Mary May Ward, and how she fought passionately to preserve the community. She explains that the dock workers first settled the neighborhood, and turned it from a sleepy hamlet to a bustling city. It was a haven for diversity when the rest of the country wasn’t. She tells everyone to look at the pictures that are hanging up. They’re not just a reminder of who they were, but who they are. The city shouldn’t push out the working class, but help them thrive. She has nothing against progress, but not at the expense of their past or the people who live there. She encourages everyone to vote, and vote no. Peter just looks at her, while everyone applauds. I wonder what’s up with that guy.

Felicia says Maxie is already an excellent mother. Maxie says she was careless and selfish, and Georgie was taken from her. Felicia says she went through a troubled period, but look at her now. Maxie tells her that she’s a train wreck with great hair, but Felicia says she’s successful with a loving partner. Everything will be fine.

Obrecht tells Nathan that he’s been tested for beta thalassemias, and doesn’t have it. She says fatherhood brings out a healthy paranoia in men. The doctor will tell him all is well, and he can stop worrying. She leaves, but outside, she gets a really weird, complicated look on her face.

Lomax says they’ve heard from the rezoning committee and the residents. The only thing left is the vote next month. She adjourns the meeting. Doc tells Laura that she was amazing, and everyone gives her kudos. Molly says Laura would make a good politician herself. Laura says Port Charles is lucky to have young people willing to fight for its history.

Julian says Alexis has been there twice since she found out it was his pub. She tells him that she came for her scarf, and thanks him for defending her daughter. He says he was just doing what he thought was right; it’s a new thing he’s trying, and still figuring out. Molly asks Alexis why she’s talking to him, and says no matter how hard she tries, Alexis can’t shake him.

Nelle is surprised Ava is hiring her just like that, and Ava says her staff found other jobs after the fire, and she knows how good Nelle was at her job with Carly. Nelle says she knows how that ended, but Ava says it wasn’t because of poor work. Nelle tells Ava she’s not a saint. Ava says no one is, and she has no husband for Nelle to prey on, so they’re okay on that front. Nelle hopes the reason is that she’d be a good fit, not to stick it to Sonny and Carly. Ava says that has nothing to do with it. Just like it has nothing to do with Nelle applying for the job. Touché.

Michael tells Ned that everyone made excellent points. Ned says they had emotional appeal, but at the end of the day, it comes down to dollars and cents. Michael says it’s purely business, but he’s not sure; there are a lot of facets to consider, including public scrutiny. Ned thinks that’s a valid concern, but if they don’t give their support now, Lomax will find some venture capitalists who will. They can count on the project breaking ground as long as she’s the mayor. What say you? I think there’s going to be a new election once the fraud is exposed, and Laura will end up as mayor.

Dante tells Lulu that if she’s right, there’s going to be a huge controversy. Lulu says good, but Dante says Lomax could accuse her of making up fake news. Lulu says she’s thought about that, but major changes are happening because she won the election. If she didn’t win legitimately, the voters have a right to know the election was stolen, and that their voices still count for something.

Maxie says Felicia is right. Felicia says first trimester hormones aren’t blameless. Maxie and Nathan will make great parents, and she and Mac will always be there.

At the hospital, Nathan runs into Griff, who tells him congratulations. Nathan asks if Griff could do him a favor and look at the medical records. He needs to know if they belong to his father, or if he’s being lied to again.

Tomorrow, Monica tells Ned that she’s not turning away family, Maxie interrupts the wedding, and Jake doesn’t want Jason there. Saw that coming.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey

Melissa is going bike riding with Siggy and Danielle. She tells the others she’ll meet them later. Teresa found a local private chef, so she, Dolores, and Margaret are taking a cooking class. She’s hoping the food works magic on Siggy and Margaret. Food, the universal language.

Teresa Dolores and Margaret go to the market for what Teresa calls “ingredientses.” Oooh, nice market. BTW, they just put the eggs in a bag when you buy them. Good to know. Dolores came from a huge Italian family, and thinks in another life, she was an Italian lady who stayed home, cooked and cleaned. That’s always been a dream of mine. Not really.

Melissa meets the bike guy, saying it will be the two of them if the girls don’t show, but Danielle and Siggy finally join her. Siggy tells us she had her bags packed, but decided to concentrate on the people she loves. I guess that means everyone except Margaret. Danielle says the bike is hurting her who-ha. Siggy is excited about a drama-free day. They stop to take pictures. Today, Siggy is an honorary Italian.

The chef gives the girls aprons, and they start with pasta. He tells them they’re not using a machine, and proceeds to concoct it with his hands. Margaret says no one ever married her for her cooking. My joke has always been that my husband didn’t marry me for my cooking in the kitchen. Dolores is happy, and doesn’t care if the others kill each other at this point. Margaret is concerned about being in the same room with Siggy, since Siggy is a loose cannon. Next is chopping beef for steak tartar. Teresa chops it on a wooden board, and gets splinters in the meat. Apparently, she was a little too enthusiastic, and tells us it’s the first wood she’s seen in a long time. BA-DUM-CHH!

The bicyclists stop for some champagne in the park. Melissa asks Danielle how she and Siggy’s talk went, and she thinks it went well. Siggy can’t get over Margaret’s insensitivity. Melissa says Margaret is harsh, but she’s not a hater, and Siggy overreacts. In her interview, Siggy says she’s never seen people ignore bad behavior (really?), and thinks she expected too much. She says the holocaust is part of who she is. Danielle – who seems to be the new voice of reason – says Siggy has a script of how she wants people to behave, but Margaret doesn’t know her rules. Melissa says they’re not dismissing her feelings, but Margaret has feelings too, and she’s also upset. In her interview, Melissa says Siggy needs to meet Margaret halfway, but she doesn’t think it’s going to happen. The best they can hope for is things not getting worse. She says if you’re going to cry, do it when you have to go back to New Jersey. I second that.

Teresa has visions of shaking the champagne, and squirting the other girls when they come in. Margaret doesn’t know what to say, since it will only be used against her. If the pasta is delicious, Siggy will say she choked on pasta once, and Margaret is trying to kill her. Everyone sits down, and Teresa makes a toast to friendship. Siggy is uncomfortable, and trying to put on a brave face, but hopes Margaret doesn’t talk to her.

Margaret thinks everyone is skirting around the obvious – the last time they ate together, they were thrown out of a restaurant, In her interview, Melissa says Margaret is in the position of damned if she does, damned if she doesn’t. Melissa asks Margaret to come with her to get some water. Outside, she says that Margaret is being quiet, and asks if she’s okay. Margaret says it’s still raw. Melissa tells her about talking to Siggy, and doesn’t know if they got through, but they made an attempt to get her to understand. In her interview, Margaret says if they weren’t such a great group, she would fake her own death.

When they get back to the table, Siggy is in the middle of telling everyone that “Hitler” is a trigger word. Teresa says when she came home, hers was “jail.” In her interview, Margaret says she doesn’t understand Siggy, but won’t use it again. She tells Siggy she didn’t know it would hurt her to her core, and would never have said it had she known. She apologizes, and gets silence. Siggy barely looks at her. I’m just going to say it. Siggy is the biggest, most immature a-hole on the planet. Vote her off the island.

In her interview, Margaret says she gave a genuine, heartfelt apology, and got crickets. Danielle thanks Margaret, and Teresa says it brought tears to her eyes. In her interview, Siggy doesn’t care what Margaret says, she’s not making up. Siggy tells us that you don’t get over a comment like that in 24-hours, so she just concentrated on eating her meal. The next course is announced – steak tartar with woodchips. Ha-ha!

Back at the ranch Teresa’s house, the sink is leaking. Joe #2 arrives to fix it. He asks Milania if she can get him a dry rag, and she tells him he can get it himself. He asks to talk to the girls. He tells them that their mother is going through a lot. She works hard to support them, and they’re not easy. They can actually be a nightmare. He thinks they should do something nice for her birthday, and they decide on a surprise party

Margret says trip has turned into an international incident, and she needs a break from all the emotion. She takes a bubble bath. Siggy decides to spend time with Teresa today. Danielle is going to the shoe factory with Margaret because she’s a shoe geek. Melissa is going for gelato with Dolores.

Melissa tells Teresa they have one last dinner, and she wants to acknowledge what Margaret said.

Siggy admits to Danielle that Margaret said a nice thing. Danielle tells her it took a lot of courage. Siggy said she wanted an apology, but when she got what she wanted, she didn’t return anything. Dolores says if Siggy made amends with Danielle, it’s none of her business, but if Danielle tried to counsel her, she’d throw her ass out.

Danielle asks Margaret if she’s excited about going to the factory. She is, but says she has to put the pedal to the metal to get her shoe line out. Danielle tells her about Siggy, saying that Margaret went out of her comfort zone, and Siggy can’t give back the same thing she wants. Margaret says it wouldn’t be genuine. Siggy aligned her with a hate group, and she doesn’t want apology, but wants Siggy to acknowledge that’s not who she is.

Melissa and Dolores discover that Italy still has phone booths, and take pictures. They’re never making fun of tourists again.

Danielle thinks she might have a shoegasm. Margaret wants to make sure she’s on the same wavelength as the manufacturer. They check out the production department. She asks questions, and finds out that one pair takes three hours to make. She says she might be able to move past that because of the superior craftsmanship. She loves the factory, but the price point turns out to be a little high, so she feels it’s not exactly the right fit. I’m not sure if the pun is intended or not, since Margaret didn’t notice.

Teresa asked the chef to recommend a beautiful place to pray for her mom, and she takes Siggy to where there’s a gorgeous rendering of Jesus. She tells Siggy since she didn’t share the beach memorial with her, she’s sharing this. She doesn’t know what she’s going to do without her mom. Siggy says Teresa being away gave her mom an opportunity to bond with the banshees girls. In her interview, Teresa says she gets angry about the time she missed with her mom, but she’s glad her daughters were able to spend that time with her. She tells us that Siggy really does have a good heart. I think Siggy thinks she does, but it’s very selective. Siggy tells Teresa that she’s been holding a lot in. It started with Margaret calling her “Soggy.” Oh, for the love of all that’s holy. This woman is worse than a dog with a bone. Teresa thought they were done with that. Yeah, so did everybody else, since Siggy said they were. Teresa says she was called an adultery [sic] by Kim D, but Siggy thinks the hurt is the same. In her interview, Teresa doesn’t. She says for one you go to the hospital, and for the other, you put on a Band-Aid. Teresa thinks Margaret doesn’t realize how sensitive Siggy is, but says she did apologize. Wait for it… Siggy says that Margaret should have apologized that night. Teresa tells her, in all the chaos, when would she have been able to? Siggy promises to think about it. I have so many things to say, it would take up volumes. During the commercial, I jet over to the show’s page on Facebook, and many people are thinking the same things, so I refrain from posting, but like a few.

Melissa and Dolores wander around. Dolores says her man doesn’t demand a lot of attention, and it bothers her that he doesn’t care if he doesn’t hear from her in 24-hours. She says at her age, she’s not into just dating, and having Frank around is the best of both worlds. She goes out on dates, then comes home to Frank. They stop to eat. Dolores says having Frank around makes her realize she wants more than David. Melissa brings up Margaret’s apology, and says she was shocked. Siggy looked like she saw a ghost. Dolores tells her that Siggy isn’t emotionally ready to respond. If she wanted to respond in a snobby or nasty way, she would have done it already, but she contained herself. I can actually understand that, but cluing everyone else in might be a thought. Melissa says that Margaret always acts like the bigger person. Siggy called her anti-Semantic, and she needs to take that back. Dolores says she has Siggy’s back, but they need peace. Melissa says she knows why Dolores hangs out with men all the time.

The ladies get dolled up for their last dinner. Melissa stops by Margaret’s room. She can’t believe they’re leaving tomorrow. Melissa says she got Margaret a little something. She appreciates the invite. In her interview, Margaret says she’s glad she was introduced to Melissa. She’s Margaret’s spirit animal. Melissa gifts her with a charm bracelet, with the charms all reminiscent of Milan. Margaret tells Melissa that she was the most positive part of the trip. Melissa says it was good of her to apologize, and Margaret says she didn’t even know there were trigger words until she met Siggy. Melissa hopes Siggy can find it in her heart for taking back her comment to Margaret. She wants it cleaned up before they go back.

The table has a gorgeous fresh flower centerpiece; I think they’re peonies. Teresa says they have a private room in the hotel. If it gets out of control, the damage will be contained. Melissa reminds them that they have an early flight. She says let’s make tonight memorable, and enjoy it. Siggy says last night, Margaret gave a sincere heartfelt apology, and thanks her, saying she needed time to process. She starts getting weepy, and says she doesn’t think anyone should reference Hitler. She must really hate Vincent Bugliosi, who wrote an entire chapter in Helter Skelter about the parallels between Charles Manson and Hitler. Margaret says she’s sorry, but does Siggy genuinely feel she’s anti-Semantic?  Siggy says she wants to believe she’s not, but it wasn’t out of the sky. All the moments she felt attacked, and then the Hitler statement. Siggy doesn’t know where it came from, but if it hurt Margaret’s feelings, she apologizes. In her interview, Margaret says she’s trying to take it the best way possible, but it’s Apology 101. You shouldn’t be sorry for how someone feels, but what you did to make them feel that way. Thank you. My example is, I’m sorry they’re dead, instead of, I’m sorry I murdered them. Margaret says Siggy aligned her with a hate group, and her relationships outside are mostly with Jewish people. A remark like that is relationship ending, career ending, scathing, and hurtful. Siggy says how she felt could ruin her life. Margaret told her she said “Soggy” in the heat of the moment, not thinking it would hurt her, but she doesn’t think so. Melissa thinks Siggy doesn’t understand the gravity of what she said, and it would be a huge leap from that, to her really thinking Margaret is anti-Semantic. Siggy says it’s like she brought Margaret to a wedding, and was deserted at cocktail hour. Oh ho! This is why she’s so unreasonable. She’s jealous that her friends like Margaret. Margaret asks if Siggy thinks she’s always compassionate; she doesn’t always keep to her own rules. Siggy says she’s far from perfect. Margaret says if she gives herself a pass, she needs to give one to others. She would never say something to hurt her on purpose. In her interview, Margaret thinks she had no choice; she was forced to bond with the others, and Siggy realizes she’s here to stay. Teresa says all of them are friends. Dolores says let things mend, and it will all be good. Who would have thought Teresa and Danielle would make up? On that note, Margaret invites everyone to her Studio 54 disco birthday party, and everyone gets all excited.

Next time, Teresa poses, Margaret talks to her ex about the kids, Teresa apologizes to Danielle’s children, and Melissa has a not-listening-to-anyone attitude.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

At the pub, Curtis says he is bereft without Aunt Stella, who moved out yesterday. She thinks the second she left, he and Jordan were whooping it up in the altogether. Curtis says, maybe. He asks how the new apartment is, and she says a nonstop party. TJ and Molly brought out the neighbors to welcome her, and it lasted until two am. Curtis says she’s already the party girl of the Charles Street district. She says it’s a shame it’s not going to last.

Maxie says the tree feels right, and Nathan says it’s perfect. She tells him that her dad came through with his medical records. Now all they need is his father.

Obrecht talks to Britt in German, and asks how dare they lock her up like a common criminal? Britt says she is one. She was on the run with one of the world’s most dangerous fugitives. She tells Obrecht that if she delivers Faison to the authorities, she can get a drastically reduced sentence. Obrecht asks how she can think of betraying him?

At the gallery, Ava gets flowers. The card congratulates her on taking her life back. Kiki and Griff come in, and Ava says she’s not sure she deserves praise for going back to work. Kiki says it was Griff’s idea, and he tells her it was the least he could do for putting her at odds with her brother.

In the park, Alexis and Danny contribute to Toys for Tots. Julian sees them, and asks if Danny has a hug for grandpa.

Sam answers a knock at the door. It’s Jason. He asks if Drew is home. Drew appears, and says sorry, he should have told Sam that he’d invited Jason over.

Nathan tells Maxie that Obrecht is being squirrely about his father’s medical records. Maxie asks if that isn’t normal, since she lives her life in secret. Nathan confesses he’s not sure about Victor being his father.

Britt says Obrecht is always defending Faison, but it wasn’t the same for her. Obrecht says she was strict with Britt, because she wanted her to live a long and happy life. Britt says that’s why she wants to get the reduced sentence, but Obrecht tells her that she’d be signing her own death warrant.

Kiki leaves to unpack the deliveries. Ava understands why Griff feels the way he does, and is glad he’s honest. He knows she doesn’t want Julian to be found guilty, but it would go a long way in making people feel better about his other crimes, including his father’s murder. Ava says, about that…

Alexis suggests Danny play on the slide while they watch. Julian tells her that he just came to drop off some gifts. She ran off so fast at the pub, he didn’t get a chance to tell her the good news. The charges have been dropped. He’s officially a free man.

Sam asks what’s going on? Drew says they all deserve to know what happened and why. Andre was transferred to a federal facility, but Jason was the last person to see him, and Drew wanted to ask him about it. Jason says Andre took a baseline map of Drew’s original memory, and he wondered if it still exists.

Julian tells Alexis no more ankle monitor. Olivia-J’s statement nullified the case, and he’s trying to rebuild his life. He’s starting from scratch, since he sold the media company. Alexis says she’s not sure the sale is valid, since it was under Jason’s name, but Julian says it was made in good faith, and he’s not going to challenge it. The idea of owning a pub feels like a new beginning, and he’s not being pulled back into his old life. Alexis says it’s his life, and he can live it however he likes, good or bad. He tells her that she took off pretty fast when they ran into each other. She says it was awkward, so she arranged to meet her date elsewhere. He says it must be serious, and he wants her to be happy.

Griff asks Ava if all is forgiven, just like that. Ava says Olivia-J threatened him; he didn’t commit the crimes willingly. Griff says he still willingly ordered his father’s murder. Kiki comes back, saying Dillon is coming home tomorrow, and she can’t wait. In perfect soap timing, Dillon calls, and she leaves to talk to him. Ava tells Griff that Julian offered to make himself scarce, but he doesn’t want her to have to choose. She asks how he’s going to handle it then?

Britt tells Obrecht it’s not like she framed Faison. He did everything he’s wanted for. Obrecht says her father is a genius, untroubled by empathy and remorse. He’ll destroy her if she goes against him. Britt says he’ll be in prison, but Obrecht says he’s escaped from countless prisons, and he doesn’t forgive a traitor.

Nathan talks to Maxie about meeting Victor, and how he told Nathan that he was his father. He wonders if his mother never told him because it wasn’t true. She might have backed him up, but maybe she thought it was safer. She’s dragging her feet about the records, and he doesn’t trust it. Victor is dead, and they might never know who the baby’s paternal grandfather is.

Stella tells Curtis that investor types are eyeing the neighborhood for gentrification. They could be forced out by greedy landlords. Curtis says it’s not happening anytime soon, so enjoy her bachelor pad. She says the first thing she unpacked was a picture of him and Tommy. Christmas makes her feel his absence more keenly; his senseless death and the part Jordan played in it. Curtis says he thinks about Tommy every day. He would be glad they’re in each other’s lives, but would kick Curtis’s ass if he didn’t give her a housewarming gift.

Jordan visits the gallery, and says it looks good. Ava remembers when Jordan worked there, and says it could have been a great friendship if Jordan hadn’t been working undercover to get her brother. She adds that Jordan did get her out of some tight spots more than once.

Griff sees Kiki crying in the hallway. Dillon can’t come home for Christmas.

Maxie wonders why Obrecht would lie. Why would any mother lie, and say Victor was their child’s father? She can’t think of a worse candidate than that psycho.

Britt promises Obrecht not to betray her father. She doesn’t even know where he is. Obrecht says her life at stake. She’s sure Britt’s lawyer can get her only a few months in minimum security. She tells Britt that she doesn’t want to bring her father’s wrath down on both of them. She can stand between them, and is a formidable woman, but she’s no match for him. Britt knows him better now, and must realize what would happen. Britt tells her not to worry; she won’t say anything. Obrecht tells her that they must move forward. Once her legal troubles are settled, she can rebuild her life. Right now, Britt would rather focus on Nathan’s new baby. Obrecht says they made her feel like family at the party. Britt says why not return the favor, and give Nathan the medical records he needs?

Julian tells Alexis that the best Christmas gift for him, is for her to be happy. She calls for Danny, and he asks if she’s making another hasty exit left. He tells her that when she made the last one, she left her scarf at the pub, and to stop by any time to pick it up. Alexis guesses she should be resigned to seeing him. Julian tells Danny that he’s going to see Santa, and asks if Danny has anything special he wants. Danny says Santa already knows what he wants, but what about Julian? He says he wants something special. It’s a long shot, but Santa has magic.

Jason explains that Andre put his methodology about the baseline on a flash drive, and put the drive inside an ornament and gave it to someone. Jason thinks he wanted out, but wanted a record of his work. Drew asks if he was unable to retrieve it, and Jason says it was put in with ornaments for the community tree by mistake, and it’s missing. Sam asks if it’s completely gone, and Jason says it’s more complicated than that.

Britt asks if Obrecht doesn’t want her grandchild to have every advantage. Obrecht says she’s arranged for the medical records to be sent. She had so many failings as a mother, and wonders if she’ll do better as a grandmother. Britt says she can start by not telling the story of Krampus. Obrecht says she’ll tell the story of how Britt is the best aunt a child could want instead. Britt promises she’ll be back, and they’ll find a way to be happy. Obrecht agrees that they will.

Nathan marvels at the baby growing inside Maxie. He asks if it’s okay to… and she says, definitely.

Kiki tells Griff that Dillon is taking a leave of absence to be the director on a friend’s Indy film. She hasn’t seen him in months, and now he’s going to be surrounded by actresses on the beach. What if she puts all this work into being a doctor, and she turns out to be a big fat loser with no boyfriend or career? She’s going to California, and forgetting her delusions of grandeur.

Jordan asks Ava about a sculpture that she wants. Ava says it was one of a pair, and Kiki must have sold the other one unknowingly. She says she’ll give Jordan a good deal.

Jason explains about the ornament being missing. Sam says someone knew, and Drew says, and didn’t want them to find it. Alexis comes back with Danny. Danny sees Jason, and says he came back. He tells Alexis that Jason is mommy’s friend from when he was a baby. Sam tells Alexis that they’re just sorting through a few things, and Alexis says to call if she needs help. After she leaves, Danny says Jason looks like someone in the pictures at Grandma. Jason says he knows her, and she’s a nice lady. Sam distracts Danny with some new juice boxes. Jason thinks he should go, but Drew says he doesn’t think so. Danny needs to know Jason is his father.

When Danny returns from the kitchen, Sam says they found out something he needs to know, but it doesn’t change how much they both love him; nothing will ever change that. She tells him that they found out daddy and mommy’s friend are actually brothers, like him and Jake. There was a mix-up, daddy is actually his uncle, and mommy’s friend is actually his daddy. Danny asks if Drew isn’t his dad, and Drew says no; he’s Danny’s uncle. He doesn’t care what Danny calls him; he’ll always love him. Sam says it just means he has more people to love. Danny asks if Jason loves him, and Jason says he does. Danny asks why he was gone so long? Jason tells him that he didn’t want to go away, and tried his hardest to get back. Danny asks if he was sad when he was gone, and Jason says he was, but when he got back and saw Danny, it made him feel better that Danny had a great family. Danny asks why he didn’t say something right away? Jason says there was a lot to figure out. There still is, but he’d like to get to know Danny when he feels ready. Danny says he’s ready now. Wow. This kid is really taking this well. Jason asks if they should shake hands, but Danny asks for hug. Jason hugs him.

There’s a knock at Maxie and Nathan’s door. Nathan answers shirtless. It’s Obrecht who thinks he just got up, and asks if no one taught him about the early bird. Maxie comes in, saying she thought he was joining her in the shower, and Obrecht says, oh, he was catching something better than worms. She gives him a folder, saying it’s the medical history of an extraordinary man. Maxie says Nathan is the one thing Victor did right. Obrecht has busy day, but says on Christmas, she will bring her famous strudel, and they can play cards and dream about the little one. When she’s gone, Maxie says she was stranger than usual. Nathan thinks she knew what she was doing.

Stella unwraps a sculpture, and Curtis reminds her of when she used to drag him and Tommy to the museum in Philadelphia. Afterward, she would ask about what they saw, and how it made them feel. She says they hated those trips, but Curtis says he just wasn’t willing to own up to the fact he liked art. The piece reminds him of those trips. Stella says she’ll cherish it. Jordan enters, and congratulates Stella on her new home. She says Curtis told her about how she taught him to appreciate art, and gives Stella a box. It’s the same piece in a different color, and Stella says it’s a pity. Jordan says the gallery owner said they were companion pieces. Curtis says, great minds think alike, and now she’s the proud owner of a matching set. Stella sees no reason to have two, and says she’ll return the one Jordan gave her, and donate the money to those not as blessed.

Griff tells Kiki that the road to be a doctor is a difficult and terrifying one. He questioned himself every day. He says she can do it, one step at a time, and keep her eyes on the prize. He tells her to shoot for her dreams, try her best, and she’ll never be a failure in his eyes. Ava has been listening, and says, or in hers. Griff tells Kiki it will be all right; trust him. Kiki says she does. She needs to have a serious conversation with Dillon, and hit books. Ava tells Griff that he got through better than she could have. Julian pops in.

Jason tells Danny that he’ll see him soon, and Danny suggests he come to Grandma Monica’s, so he can see how he taught Annabelle to shake hands. Jason leaves, and Danny goes upstairs to play. Sam is choked up, saying it was hard. Drew says he’s sorry she has to go through this. He thought after Jake, it couldn’t get harder, but it breaks his heart into more pieces. Sam knows he feels like he’s losing everything, but he still has everything. He has Danny, Jake, and Scout, and he’ll always have her. He asks how he can have any of them? He has nothing to give. He doesn’t even know who he really is.

Stella steps away to take a call from TJ. Jordan thought they were doing well on Thanksgiving. Curtis says Stella gets this way around Christmas; it’s all about Thomas. Jordan says, and she’s the one who took him away, so she’s the Grinch. Curtis says that’s not true. When they’re done with the holidays, things will be better. He kisses her.

Stella runs into Alexis, and thanks her for Thanksgiving. Alexis says too bad dinner ended up on the floor. Stella tells her about the time Curtis’s birthday cake was trampled by the pony she hired. She says she likes David, and that they cross paths occasionally. He had been enthusiastic about the Charles Street district; now she lives there. Alexis says David has a thing about it, and Stella recommends it highly. TJ told her that this was the neighborhood place, so she’s sure they’ll be running into each other.

Julian asks what they’re going to do about this? Griff seems to have a problem with him.

Maxie tells Nathan that his mom wasn’t lying for once. His father was super healthy, and their baby will have super genes. He hopes she’s right. There’s something wrong with the records.

Sam tells Drew that she knows who he is; the man she loves, but he took the proposal off the table. He says with everything she has in her life, how can he ask her to choose him, when he doesn’t even know who he is. He owes her to know who she’s married to. Sam says he doesn’t owe her anything. She asks him to marry her. He calls her small and mighty, and asks if she’s sure this is what she wants. She gets down on her knees, and he does too. He wants her to remember this is the moment they decided, because they love each other. Sam says it’s a moment they’ll remember forever. Drew tells her he’ll marry her. She grabs his face, and kisses him. He tells her that he loves her.

Tomorrow, Alexis asks Ned what he’s doing there, Laura has to ask Lulu something, and Maxie doesn’t think she can do this.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Erika talks to her creative director about a new project. She says yes to everything, since you’re only given an opportunity once, and the moment is fleeting.  So she’s maximizing her m-f-ing time. She never thought she’d be where she is in her mid-40s. We see a clip of Erika being parodied on SNL. Yep, she’s in the big time now. She tells us she’s where she is because of her husband’s support. Her life has exploded.

LisaR has a rat problem, and I don’t mean one of the other girls. Actual rodents. Her daughters are modeling now, and she’s making a trip with them to New York. LisaR says she’s managing everything and everybody. God love Harry Hamlin, but he’s not doing sh*t. A doctor comes over to give them vitamin injections. She wants to keep her daughters grounded, so the attention doesn’t go to their heads, and I wonder how that’s working out when the “concierge doctor” makes a house call for nonsense.

Kyle meets LVP at a restaurant. Her bag needs its own chair. Kyle’s show, American Woman, is inspired by her life with her mom in the 70s, and is finally on the air. She tells LVP she’s planning a trip to Vegas for Erika and Dorit’s birthdays. LVP informs her that LisaR’s birthday is also around the same time. In her interview, LVP wonders how Dorit will take being with LisaR in Vegas, since LisaR got down and dirty last year. She hopes LisaR has learned her lesson. Kyle says they’ll have to get over it, and wonders if they need a bouncer for the plane. She feels like she’s in the middle, and doesn’t want that anymore. She’s inviting everyone, and too bad. If somebody doesn’t like it, they don’t have to go.

Dorit takes Jagger to his music class. They’ve always had a close connection, but now that he verbalizes, he can make his thoughts clear, and is into being with other kids. New Housewife Teddi is hosting the class. Afterward, they discuss trampolines as they sip champagne. Dorit sees a big change in Jagger’s personality. He’s a more confident, fun, and excited child. Dorit says they’ve spent the last four and a half moths in Miami while renovations are being done on the house. Now that she’s back, she wants to connect with other moms. Teddi says she rode horses for so many years, she didn’t know any moms, and that’s why she started the class. Dorit tells her about LVP, who builds her vacations around where she can take her horses. Wow. I can barely remember what a vacation is.

Kyle visits Erika at her office. Coolest. Office. Ever. Omg, I love the banana leaf patterned chairs. She shows Kyle her makeup room, where the light can be adjusted to be like daylight. Scary, but a good way to put on daytime makeup. Kyle says they’re going to Croatia, and a pool is being put in while they’re gone. She apologizes for not being able to see Erika in Dancing with the Stars. Erika says it was a new experience, letting someone else take control. Kyle asks about the girls’ trip, saying Erika’s birthday is between Dorit’s and LisaR’s. Erika makes an are-you-kidding? face. In her interview, Erika says the bottom could fall out; pack your own chute. Erika wonders about the elephant in the room, but says okay. We flash back to her telling Dorit she’s willing to try again, but it’s a slow process.

Teddi tells us that growing up, she lived well, but always knew the value of a dollar. Her husband was supposed to be a one-night-stand. The next morning, she thought his name was Edward, and it’s Edwin. That’s actually a funny/cute story. Her dad is John Mellencamp, and when she was a kid, thought everybody’s dad was on the radio. I can identify somewhat. My father designed and built the house I grew up in, and having a wife and two daughters, made the bathroom quite large. I was shocked when I saw other people’s bathrooms. I’d just assumed everyone had a bathroom that big. Teddi tells us that her father didn’t act like a famous guy, and nothing was just handed to her. She wants the same for her kids, and doesn’t want them acting entitled. She’s about a million times more down-to-earth than LisaR.

Dorit says they’ve gone way over budget with the renovations. She wanted an indoor/outdoor space, a kitchen facelift, and a bigger master closet. PK is surprised she’s going to Vegas with Erika and LisaR. He says last time he saw Erika, she was horrible to him. We flash back to the reunion. He adds that LisaR was a joke. In her interview, Dorit says LisaR came after her to defame her character. We flash back to the reunion some more. PK says he’s going to keep his opinions to himself.

Dorit and Teddi meet for drinks. LVP joins them, and says she loves the name Teddi. Teddi tells her that her name was originally Teddi Joe; it was very country. LVP grills her, and says if she has a sense of humor, they’re good. Teddi says her sense of humor is very dry. They talk horses. LVP tells them about the Vegas trip, and how it’s everybody’s birthday. Dorit hasn’t had any communication with Erika, and tells them it remains to be seen how it goes. She’s a little worried, and says it depends on what attitude Erika brings. She’d thought she and Erika would be fast friends, but Erika wasn’t very warm. She’s prepared to move past it though. Teddi’s birthday is tomorrow, and Dorit asks her to come along. LVP adds, if she’s brave enough. Dorit gets all excited.

Everyone packs for the trip. Their closets all look like stores. Erika is bringing her glam squad. She says pretty soon she’ll need an aircraft hangar for her clothes, and informs us that Cary Grant had one. I didn’t know that.

Camille joins the ladies at the airport. She just flew in from Hawaii, and is already exhausted. In her interview, Kyle says Dorit’s hair is different every time she sees her, and she could really be bald for all Kyle knows. Teddi is introduced around. Erika says, fresh beginnings, happy birthday, yay. Kyle explains that LisaR is still in New York, but will be coming later if she’s able. She invited Eileen, but she couldn’t make it. Right. She’s probably washing her hair. We find out Teddi doesn’t like to shop, and it gets very quiet. That’s it. She’s off the show. Erika talks about buzz shopping, saying she buys more once she’s had a cocktail. Lisa callsR, and says she has the girls covered, and will meet them in Vegas tonight. In her interview, Dorit says she has unresolved feelings, and it would be a better trip without LisaR, but the time is guaranteed fun with LVP and Kyle.

We’re off. Happy birthdays and champagne all around. I would love to fly like this just once. There’s turbulence, and Kyle gets weird. LVP spills champagne on Kyle’s Birkin bag, and chaos and hilarity ensue.

A butler comes with the hotel suite. Kyle says LVP always wants the best room, but she’s taking it this time. Like any of these rooms are shabby. Camille, LVP and Kyle hang out in LVP’s room. Camille asks if things are cool with LisaR now. Kyle tells them about running into Harry on a hike, and how he said her sister can never be around the group again. Since Kim isn’t on the trip (or the show this season), I don’t see this as being a problem, but really? #WhatDidHarryDo  We flash back to the bunny incident at the reunion. Kyle says Harry was clearly upset, and it was weird. She’d rather have an enema or root canal than discuss it with LisaR. LVP thinks it will be a recipe for disaster with Dorit.

Dorit has brought her hair and makeup stylists, because she can’t live without them. Erika’s squad works on her. She tells them no polite lip. Everyone looks fantastic, and make me wonder why I even bother. The ladies gather for a kiki before going out. Teddi has a fabulous body, and is wearing the shortest dress in the world. LisaR shows up, and Dorit says, help.

Next time, fun at the club, a sex toy made of ice, gambling, Erika admits to being an a-hole, and Dorit confronts Lisa.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

Since The I Hate This Show Right Now Walking Dead is done for the season, I took Sunday night off. Off of here anyway.  It was past time to Christmas up the house.

General Hospital

Franco used to be able to lie and sleep like a baby, but now it hurts not to tell Elizabeth things. He says there’s something he should have told her a while ago. She takes him where they can have some privacy, and says they’ll figure it out together.

At the MetroCourt, Jason calls Robin, and says things are still complicated. He needs to get in touch with Anna. Carly sees Sonny at the bar. They make holiday small talk about having fun. Zzzz…

Anna and Jordan run into each other in the park. Jordan says it’s nice to see the community coming together. She tells Anna that Andre was transferred, and seemed almost relieved. Anna says a secret like that, and watching the fallout, takes its toll. Jordan says it’s not over yet – not even close.

Drew tells Sam they’re not legally married. He meant every word of the vows, but needs to say them again in his own name. He asks her to marry him, but she says they are married. The vows are still real; names don’t count for anything. He says they do out in the world, and he wants things to be right. How much they love each other hasn’t changed. They kiss.

Maxie meets Lulu at Kelly’s. She asks if Maxie can team up with her for something worthwhile. She wants to host a food drive for feeding America.

Sam and Drew talk about all the different areas they have to deal with regarding the name change. Drew adds Oscar, and tells her about their awkward conversation. She says it will be an adjustment – like everything. They’ll work it out. He calls her Mrs. Kane. There’s a knock at the door. It’s Oscar. Sam leaves them to talk.

Franco tells Elizabeth that he may have learned the truth before everyone else. Okay, he did learn it before everyone else. After Jason came through the skylight, he confronted Andre, who admitted faking the death certificate. She says he told her, and the sky didn’t fall. She has questions, but is surprised he knew. He says he knew more than that.

Jordan tells Anna about a case where the wife knew nothing about her husband’s criminal activities, and how she’d judged her. She promised herself it would never happen to her, and she’s a cop, trained to look for clues. She had no idea about Andre; he never even raised a red flag. Anna says she was unaware as well, and some people are gifted with compartmentalizing. Maybe after he realized he couldn’t save his wife, he created a reality he could live with, and it worked for a while. Jordan says until his past caught up with him. Anna’s phone rings. Jason asks her to meet him at the MetroCourt. Jordan asks if everything is okay, but Anna isn’t sure

Jason joins Sonny and Carly. They talk about Spinelli being the best one to check over the manuscript. Sonny says, unless he gets distracted by the story. Ha-ha! Sam comes in, and asks Carly about settling the bill for the launch party. They go out in the hallway, and Carly asks if really abut the bill. Sam says yes, then admits it’s no. Drew just pointed out obvious, that they’re not legally married, and he asked her to marry him again. Carly asks what she said.

Drew Is glad Oscar dropped by. Their meeting didn’t go the way he’d hoped. Oscar says maybe they should forget it. No point in forcing it if Drew isn’t interested. Drew says he wanted to give Oscar space, but he is interested. He just doesn’t want to pressure Oscar, but hopes he’s interested too.

Franco tells Elizabeth that he wanted to know who was who, and Andre sent him a printed document, saying he’d know what to do with it. Elizabeth is shocked he knew and had proof. He says he went back and forth, but didn’t want to tell her something that would upset her. She’s at a loss. Two men literally had their lives stolen, and he could have proved everything. She asks him why, and he says, Jason.

Jason tells Sonny about the memory baseline. Sonny says the transfer was just a preliminary step to something bigger. Brick is working on getting the files from Russia. He says the money was laundered six ways to Sunday, and it will take a long time. Jason thanks him, saying he must be spending a bundle on the investigation. Sonny says he has his right hand back, and the investment is even better than he thought.

Sam tells Carly that she’s in love with Drew; they have a family and a child. Carly says she has a family and a child with Jason. Sam says, had; there’s difference. Carly tells her that she has time to think. Sam says it’s just a name, and it shouldn’t change anything. Carly gets what she’s doing, but wouldn’t be able to do it herself. She says Sam loves Jason, and no matter how well she guards her heart, it will eventually come out. Sam says she’s not denying it, and Carly says even if she doesn’t say the words, Drew probably knows. He’s out there thinking he’s doing the noble thing, and she’s doing the same, but no one is happy. Not Drew, not Jason, and especially not her.

Lulu says while she was doing research on the school lunch program, she found out that one in four Americans go hungry every day. They don’t talk about it, so it becomes an invisible problem. A lot of them live in urban deserts, where fresh produce isn’t available, so she wants to concentrate on that. Maxie asks how, and tells her that she needs to get the word out. Lulu says that’s why she came to her.

Franco says Jason hates him like God hates sin, and has a certain amount of influence over her. Elizabeth asks if Franco thought she’d dump him if Jason said so. Franco says Jason can’t get past the terrible things he did, even though it wasn’t him back then. He’s thinks Jason will come up with something to make him pay. Elizabeth asks if he thinks Jason will hurt him. Franco says it wouldn’t surprise him, but he’s afraid of Jason changing her viewpoint on him. He didn’t tell the truth, and was a coward. Elizabeth says, yes, he was.

Oscar is like, it’s cool, and Drew says, baby steps. They talk about Scout. Drew says Scout would love to meet him, and Oscar says he’d like to meet her. Drew tells him that they’ll set that up.

Anna joins Sonny and Jason. Jason tells Anna that before Andre left the country, he stashed a flash drive in an ornament that he gave to her. She says it must be the disco ball, but she didn’t know anything was inside of it. She says it’s at home, and she’ll get it. I’m guessing it’s with the other ornaments. No way it could be this easy.

Sam says that Carly adores Jason, and would do anything to give him what he wants. Carly says she does, and he wants Sam’s happiness. Jason will be okay; he’ll survive without her. The person she wants it for is Sam, but she’s just worried about Drew. Jason is just as much of a victim, but it seems like Drew has all the sympathy and is the only one allowed to grieve. Jason came back after being held captive for five years, and found out his life was no longer his own, yet everyone is wringing their hands over Drew. Sam says Jason will be fine. Carly tells her that’s exactly why she’s with Drew, and why it’s a mistake.

Lulu tells Maxie that she wants to host the event at Kelly’s. They’ve already offered a huge donation of fruit and vegetables. Maxie thinks The Floating Rib will match it, and Lulu is also going to talk to Carly about the MetroCourt. She tells Maxie they need a social media presence, and Maxie says, done. Lulu says she makes giving fashionable.

Elizabeth tells Franco that her biggest problem is that Jason is Jake’s father. This affected her son’s life. Doesn’t he care about how Jake feels? Franco says her boys are the second-best thing that’s ever happened in his life, and it’s hard for him. He doesn’t want Jason near Jake; hanging out, and bonding in matching black T-shirts. The last thing he wants Jake to know about him are the horrible things he’s done. Elizabeth says he’s going to eventually find out, with or without Jason. Franco was sick. He’s worried Jason can persuade Jake otherwise, but she says she can be persuasive too. He can’t keep doing this. The world is bigger than him and his fears. He says she’s his world, and to tell him he has her. She says he does, but he has to stop. If he has any deep, dark secret, now’s the time.

Drew and Oscar make small talk about school. Drew asks if Oscar has any questions, but Oscar says none he can probably answer. Drew tells him to take a shot, and Oscar asks what he was like when he was younger, and what it was like with his first girlfriend. Drew wishes he could answer, but he can’t remember. Oscar would also like to know about his mom, if she ever let loose or was she always like a mom-in-training? Drew says his mom might enjoy that conversation, but Oscar thinks she wouldn’t give him answers. He does know one thing about Drew; the music he liked, or at least what he thought Oscar’s mother would like. He’d made a CD for her. Drew can’t believe she kept it, and asks if there are any embarrassing songs, but Oscar says it’s pretty solid. He asks if Drew would like to hear it.

Sonny says if they find the flash drive intact, then what? Jason says he’ll ask Drew to undergo the procedure. Sonny asks what if he says no, and Jason thinks he can remember on his own. Even though he has Jason’s memories, why are they so different? He thinks Drew already remembers more than he realizes.

Carly says Sam just admitted she loves Jason. Sam says she always will, but is in love with Drew. Carly says you can love two people, but only be with one. She tells Sam you should be with the one who really gets you, all the way to your toes. Otherwise, what’s the point?

Back at the park, Anna tells Jordan there’s something important in the box of ornaments, and she has to find it.

Sam says Carly makes it sound easy. Carly knows it’s not, but whatever Sam decides, she has her back. She says she’d by lying if she didn’t say she was rooting for Jason, but the team she’s on is Sam’s.

Carly goes back inside. Sam and Jason gaze at each other. Sam leaves.

Elizabeth tells Franco to promise no more secrets. He says one more, and he’s secret free. He tells her that he went to see Betsy after he found out Drew was alive. He wanted to know why she sent Drew away, and not him. She told him it was because she was protecting Drew. According to her, he tried to kill Drew by pushing him down the stairs. She sent Drew away, and kept Franco close to keep an eye on him. Elizabeth says Jason was right; he’s evil. When Jason finds out Franco is the person he thought he was, he’ll pay. This is all just in Franco’s mind. Elizabeth says if they’re going to make it work, she needs to know. He says no more secrets. She asks if he promises, and he says, cross my heart. Why does he do this?

Sonny asks Carly if everything is okay. Carly tells him that Sam is overwhelmed. She tried to help, but thinks she made things worse. Anna calls Jason. She asks him to meet her in the park, and tells him that they have a problem.

Sam asks Drew how it went with Oscar. He thinks it went well; at least better than the first time. He asks how she is. She left pretty fast, and he hopes it wasn’t the proposal. She says he was right; they’ll always be them. Legalities mean nothing. She loves him, their life together, and everything they’ve created. Yes, she’ll marry him. He tells her that he loves her so much, and she makes him happy, but they can’t right now. Not like this.

Franco apologizes to Elizabeth for lying. She wishes he hadn’t, but understands. There’s no reasoning with Jason when he sees something a certain way, but moving forward, he needs to be brave enough to trust her, so she can trust him with her heart and boys’ hearts. She loves him more than she’s ever loved anyone. She can’t wait to be his wife. They kiss.

Sonny asks Carly what’s really going on with Sam. She tells him that she and Drew aren’t legally married. He says the hits just keep on coming, but she wishes Sam could see it as a blessing. She thinks staying with Drew is the noble thing, but loves Jason. How do you stay married, even if you love someone, when your soulmate still in picture? Sonny says maybe she’ll realize. Carly asks what he and Jason were talking about, and he says how to handle a threat, when you don’t know what you’re dealing with. Faison switched them for a reason, but they don’t know what it is.

Drew tells Sam that Oscar has questions about who he was, but he couldn’t answer them. It’s not fair to him or any of his kids, and especially not to Sam. He needs to try get his memory back. The person he loves most should know about him. He asks her to wait for him. He has to find himself. He feels like they’re meant to be, and they’re forever. She kisses him.

Jason meets Anna at the park. She tells him the ornament is gone. Her housekeeper must have made a mistake, and put it in the box with the other ornaments. The rest are all accounted for, except for that one. Jason thinks it’s not an accident. She asks him what was on the flash drive, and he says supposedly Drew’s memory. It can lead them to the person who put it into motion.

We see the disco ball opened on a desk. So when is Faison getting here?

Tomorrow, Obrecht tells Britt not to betray Faison, Julian says he only told Alexis the good news, and Sam wants to know what’s going on.

🌽  On a Personal Note…

In regard to Lulu’s venture to feed America, please donate to your local food bank when you can. I understand what it’s like to be hungry. Having gone through broke AF times, the food bank was an invaluable resource. Lulu was right about there being a lack of fresh produce though. It’s hard to come by when you’re poor and hungry. Since I live in an area where there are farms not far away, it was a real blessing when farmers donated to the bank. Another blessing was the “ugly” vegetable department in my Shoprite, where they sell the not-so-pretty vegetables, as well as those that are still edible, but about to turn. (Not turn into zombie vegetables, but they wouldn’t be lasting much longer.) So besides donations, you can also sign petitions requesting that places like Walmart carry these. And if you are the one who’s hungry, there’s no shame in going to your food bank. It’s there for a reason – use it – but pay it forward when you’re back on your feet.

Vanderpump Rules

I’m not sure how last week can be topped. Unless Jax is drawn and quartered.

Stassi and Brittany go to the spa. Today would be Brittany and Jax’s two-year anniversary. Brittany had planned a spa day for the two of them, but since he can’t keep it in his pants, she’s bringing Stassi instead. She’s one of the few people who knows exactly how Brittany feels. Brittany says she keeps going all over the place. Stassi would never suggest not getting back together, but she is. Brittany tells her that she knows what’s best, but she doesn’t know if she can follow through. Stassi knows Jax is saying what she wants to hear, and doesn’t want her to go through what she did. We flash back to that. Brittany says it’s so new, and she’s confused. She admits to having sex with Jax last night. She doesn’t know why, and Stassi says she’s feeling emotion when he’s crying and whining he’ll never do it again.

Tom and James take Jax out for a drink. He wishes Brittany would hook up with someone else, and they’ d be even. Once again showing us what a shallow, empty-headed jerk he is. In his mind, it would fix things. He tells them he was planning on staying at a hotel, but ended up staying at the apartment. They had more sex in the last two days than they’ve had in six months. Tom says it’s been two months since he’s had any, and it’s freaking him out. In his interview, James wonders if this is what the future holds for him. Tom is starting to feel skeezy coming on to his own girlfriend, and downloaded an audio book on intimacy at three am.

Schwartz brings Lisa flowers, and she asks what he’s done. He says the meeting they had left a bad taste in his mouth, and he wanted to apologize on behalf of both of them. Lisa says it’s not him that’s guilty, but Tom is being negative and accused her of spying. Schwartz says they’re a team, and he wants to “moisturize” the situation. Lisa tells him some of the things Tom said, and says she and Ken are bringing experience, financing, and a plethora of other things to the table. She needs them to be positive. Ken says they should grasp the opportunity both hands. Schwartz says they are really appreciative, and that he’s ready to get serious. They’re invested in this. Lisa promises they’ll have another meeting. Lisa thinks the Toms and Jax must have a standing order with the flower people, since they need to apologize so often.

Lisa and Nathalie (Lisa’s partner) meet with Stassi at SUR. Lisa goes over some of the things they’ve already done for the upcoming party. Stassi says she didn’t dream about being an event planner, but wants to be a boss, and she can’t think of anyone better to learn from. Scheana was concerned that Stassi would be telling them what to do, so Nathalie tells her it’s not her job to deal with the servers. In her interview, Stassi says she should be annoyed, but she isn’t. It shows she’s above all that now. Lisa wants to see Stassi mature as much as the business has, but says she can’t wish for everything. Stassi doesn’t want to mess anything up, and Lisa tells her just be on the same page as her and Nathalie.

Katie tells Schwartz about the girls throwing a party for Brittany. They don’t want her to be scared of dumping Jax’s ass and starting over. Tom comes over, and tells Schwartz that he found a machine that can freeze any drink. Schwartz tells him not to get ahead, because Lisa and Ken are still mulling it over. In his interview, Tom says if the new restaurant turns out to be the one that got away, it will haunt him. Schwartz says from now on, they only vent to each other. Katie is proud of him, and says they can bring the quirk and flair, and Ken and Lisa can bring the class.

Brittany joins Ariana at the stables. Ariana says if she didn’t have riding, she doesn’t know what she’d do. It always centers her, and she wants to carry that back to her relationship. She’s riding in a competition, and is nervous because she wants to win. I think that’s the idea of a competition. She takes a spill, and the horse gets kooky. She tells Brittany she bailed, because she realized he wasn’t going to stop. She’s worried he might get spooked during the competition.

At Vanderpump Dogs, Lisa cuddles some of the furbabies. Raquel is volunteering today, and in her interview, Lisa says she’s like Bambi on steroids. She tells Raquel she still ahs to treat it like a job, and show commitment. In his interview, James says he and Raquel both have their own ways of dealing with things. He smokes weed; she pets dogs. James tells Lisa that he’s ready for his Turn It Up Tuesdays at SUR. In her interview, Lisa thinks if he does something autonomous, he’ll take responsibility, and might actually get it together.

Tom and Ariana’s brother go to watch Ariana compete. She says she and Walter (the horse) don’t have that trusting relationship yet, aka, she doesn’t trust him. Tom tells Jeremy that she always gets freaked out before a show. Tom says it’s awkward to broach the subject with him, but he and Ariana haven’t been having sex. Ariana said if he cheated once, they’d be done, but he wonders how anyone could blame him. Jeremy says they have to hash it out; there’s a root to the problem somewhere.

We watch Ariana ride. Tom thinks she looks hot. They already have a whip, so he thinks maybe they should get a saddle. She gets a blue ribbon. He says, save a horse, ride a cowboy – or a bartender.

Brittany tells Jax she’s going to Stassi’s for a pajama party. They’re throwing it in her honor, with her favorite things, and will probably talk sh*t about him. He says it’s between the two of them, and has nothing to do with the other girls. Brittany says she loves him, but it’s hard. He doesn’t understand how people can say he’s manipulative. I would say only to girls with no brain, but Stassi isn’t stupid. I find him repulsive, so I just don’t get it. Brittany asks if she’s going to find anything else out, but he says no.

Stassi wants the party to be special, and got a beer cheese recipe from Brittany’s memaw. Katie brings a piñata with Jax’s face on it, and Kristen has a gun that shoots tequila into your mouth. No thanks. I don’t even want to drink it from a glass.

The guys meet at a bar. The owner was once the manager at PUMP, and Tom is psyched, hoping the meeting about TomTom leads to something like that for him. Schwartz says the girls have set aside their differences to hate Jax together.

Brittany arrives, and Scheana and Ariana are right behind. In her interview, Stassi says it feels good to be the bigger person, but she hates when the angel wins. She shows Brittany the spread of all her favorite foods, and the beer cheese gets her approval. In her interview, Brittany confesses that it was a brave attempt, but not like her grandmother’s cheese.

The guys do shots. Tom says it’s the perfect storm ready to destroy the City of Jax. In his interview, Schwartz says the girls are the ideal espionage team, and Jax doesn’t appreciate the sh*t storm coming his way.

The girls beat on the piñata, and Brittany rips its head off. Alrighty then.

James tells everyone about his debut at SUR. If he does it right, he gets a percentage of the bar. In his interview, he says it’s crazy how much can happen in a year. We flash back to him being a total idiot. He swears he’s changed. My jury is out. It’s still early in the season.

The girls have orchestrated a spell. Stassi says it’s about scorning a cheating lover, and Katie is facilitating. In her interview, Katie says it’s so that Jax will receive his karmic punishment. Brittany says normally, she wouldn’t dabble in witchcraft, but she thinks the way Jax treated her, even Jesus would be on board. They light some candles and use some other props. Ariana is concerned that if she goes a whole night being cordial, Stassi will want to be friends again. Everyone kisses and makes up.

Lisa gets a drink from Wesley, the new SUR bartender. She has a meeting there with Lala. She tells Lala it’s been a while, and Lala asks if she’s surprised to hear from her. She’d like her job back. She has a man who provides her with amazing things (she’s still with the same guy), but he’s not an ATM machine, and she wants to pay her own bills. Lisa says she has a tendency to cut and run when she gets nervous, and makes things up. She says she should have been honest, and admits to leaving Lisa hanging, but asks forgiveness. It is granted. Lisa says she’s always fought for her. She tells Lala that she likes her very much, and Lala says she’s changed a lot. Lisa tells her she can come back. In her interview, Lisa says Lala is a fabulous hostess, and inside the tough exterior, is like a lost puppy. She tells Lala if she becomes unreliable, she’s out.

Peter asks how Jax is doing. He says it’s getting better, and the sex is the best. Tom says he should be prepared. Schwartz says they’ve taken precautionary measures. Tom brings out a locking chastity device for men. I’m not sure what to say…

Brittany isn’t sure what she’s going to do. She doesn’t want to upset anyone. Ariana asks if he told her it was a onetime thing, because it wasn’t. She says several people have said it. Stassi says she’ll always hear things about Jax, and for the most part they’re true. Ariana does a perfect imitation of Jax making excuses. Brittany calls him, and he goes outside with the phone. He swears on his life that it was only once. Brittany decides to bluff him, and says she has proof; she’s there. He asks why she’s setting him up, and she says she didn’t know it was more than once. She tells him Faith isn’t really there, but she wants the truth. He asks what does it matter, once or ten times, mirroring exactly what Ariana said when she mimicked him. He says it doesn’t make a difference, but she says it changes everything – he’s gone. Jax, who by now is pacing up and down the sidewalk, screams for her to shut-up, and that he didn’t do it. She says that’s not changing anything. They’re done. She hangs up.

Jax comes back in, and tells the guys that it was only once. Tom isn’t doubting it, but if he did it more than once, he needs to tell her. Jax insists it was just once.

Ariana calls Tom, and tells him that Jax isn’t allowed to stay at the apartment tonight. The girls are going back with Brittany. He knows how crazy Kristen is, and it will get intense if he comes home. Tom tells the table that the girls are charged up, and Jax can’t go home tonight.

Brittany stirs her drink, and shakes her head. The rest of the girls all look bummed.

Next time, Lisa asks if the Toms are in or out, Nathalie tells Stassi that Lisa is hard to impress, and Katie and Schwartz argue.

👰 💍 The 90-Day Fiancé finale was tonight, along with a Couples Tell All, but I still have to watch it before I prepare my thesis. However, I can’t hold inside that I was right about Molly not making it to the altar with Luis. Not only did he scoff at being a stepfather, saying they were her kids, he got really weird with his deflection during an argument. In the middle of her wailing about how he was a bully, and didn’t want her kids around, he suddenly started criticizing how she decorated with things like Buddhas,  owls, and candles, practically saying she was a devil worshiper. It was out of the blue, off-topic, and strange. She called it quits, but as if life wasn’t bad enough for her, Molly was already married to him. They weren’t going to the church, but had already been to a Justice of the Peace. D’oh! Not sure what happens now. The producers were pretty shocked.

😧 Postscript: I’m watching Couples Tell All as I’m editing this, and they’re back together. Once again, I don’t know what to say…

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Here’s my excuse for missing the very beginning. I’d read there was going to be a press conference at 3 pm, which was no surprise since interrupting GH is de rigueur for Washington DC. I usually feed my dogs what I like to call luncheon just before the show, and took my sweet time, especially with my little old girl, who doesn’t see as well as she used to and sometimes needs help. The joke was on me. There was no conference. Not televised anyway. Luckily, I didn’t miss much.

Ava and Julian go to Kelly’s. Ava says the last time she was at the MetroCourt, she got a dressing down of epic proportions. If it was just Sonny and Carly, she could handle it, but stares follow her everywhere. Julian asks if a doctor can finish what was started, but she says not legally, and the ones who will risk it aren’t exactly the cream of the crop. Julian suggests investigating further, but she says it’s not worth it. Griff made her see reason, and he’s the one who has to look at her. He accepts her, and her life – most of it anyway. Julian says, just not her brother.

Monica tells Ned that both Jason and Drew love Sam and the children. They’ll find a way to co-exist. Ned thinks he hears the sound of Tracy, cackling from across the ocean. He’d like nothing more than for them to get along, but he’d also like turkey on Thanksgiving; some things are not meant to be. He says the Quartermaines are a study in conflict, and it’s going to get worse before it gets better. Monica thanks him for the pep talk. She leaves to answer the door, and Olivia-Q asks Ned if it would kill him to be supportive.

It’s Sam at the door. She was surprised Monica wasn’t at the hospital, and Monica says she’s taken a mental health day. She can’t imagine how difficult this whole thing is for Sam. Sam says she’s fine. The person she’s worried about is Drew.

Jason is trying to figure out what got him and Drew to this point. He tells Drew he has a lead on the backer. It’s Caesar Faison, who shot him. He checked the police files, and they had divers in the water within fifteen minutes of the shooting, yet there was no sign of him. Someone picked him up, and whoever did it, probably has the resources to take a Navy SEAL without a trace. Drew wonders what he would get out of it. Jason doesn’t know, but he has Spinelli working on it, and found out Faison was in Port Charles yesterday.

Kim is ready to really talk if Oscar wants to. Oscar tries to blow her off, saying it’s fine, and they can talk later. She tells him that she should have been straight from the beginning, and he asks, why wasn’t she?

Nelle, Sonny, Carly, and Michael sit down to discuss the impending birth, with Nelle ordering food like she’s having quintuplets. She tells Michael he’s being so formal. They’re not talking about a money transfer; it’s a baby. Michael says he’ll cover all medical expenses, if it’s proven to be his, and the bills can be sent to his office. Then they can hash out a fair custody agreement post birth. Nelle remarks that he only seems to be taking care of his child, so, no deal.

Olivia asks Ned if she doesn’t get to have opinions. He says he loves her opinions; it’s one of the reasons he married her, but she’s not seeing the big picture.

Sam tells Monica that Drew could use her. No guilt trip, but he doesn’t have a lot of people in his corner. Monica says she’ll get in touch with him today, but wishes she could do more than just listen. Sam says that’s enough. Monica asks how Sam is, adding that Drew isn’t the only one who had the rug pulled out from under her. Sam says it’s a lot. Every time they think they have a handle on it, another shoe drops. She says she doesn’t know if it’s her place to tell Monica, but in finding out Drew had a life before Port Charles, they found out he has a son. Monica has another grandchild.

Kim doesn’t know where to start, and Oscar suggests where they met. She tells him it was in San Diego, where she was going her internship. His father was stationed there, and they knew he was going to be deployed. She also didn’t know where her residency would take her, so they agreed when the time came to say goodbye, they would leave it at that. Oscar asks if she loved him, and she says given time, she thinks she could have. By the time she found out she was pregnant, he was already overseas. She had no way to contact him, since his whereabouts were a secret. Oscar was born, and she felt their family was complete. There was never going to be a dad in the picture, so she thought there was no need to talk about him. She was kind of relieved Drew didn’t know. Oscar asks why, and she says because they were a team; Kim and Oscar against the world. She didn’t want that to change, but knows now that it has to.

Drew asks what Faison was doing in Port Charles, and Jason says traveling with his daughter. Britt got tired of running, and stayed behind. She told him that her father has no interest in going after Sam and the kids, and he figures she has no reason to lie. What good would it do her? Faison could also care less about Jason and his family. He thought Jason was dead. Apparently, he was supposed to be killed after the switch took place, but Faison was double-crossed. Drew doesn’t see how this affects him and his family.

Nelle says Michael is committing to the child, but not her. How is she supposed to take care of the baby properly? Carly says it’s called a job, but Nelle says she tried that, but thanks to Carly and her friends, it hasn’t worked out very well. She asks if she’s supposed to live in a hovel, and Michael says he won’t sell the apartment. She says it’s going to be stress on her body and the baby all day, and she’s already down one kidney. Michael says having a baby should be safe for her, and plenty of women work while pregnant. She says not the ones carrying his child. If he refuses to make her life easier, he’ll regret it. He can be involved, but it will be from a distance. Michael asks if she’ll be leaving town, and she says faster than you can say “child abandonment.”

Michael says she can’t keep him away, and Nelle says she didn’t say she would. Port Charles has been less than hospitable, and her prospects are dwindling. Don’t get her started about the winters. She might want to try her luck somewhere else. Michael asks what she wants, and she tells him to make an offer. Sonny says there’s nowhere he can’t find her, and she asks what he’s going to do? Keep her prisoner? He tells her she doesn’t want to find out. Sonny needs to watch it, or he’s going to get the reputation of being some kind of tyrant when it comes to the babies in his family.

Ava tells Julian that Griff didn’t give her an ultimatum. He can’t have a relationship with Julian, but he’d never tell her that she couldn’t. She can thread this needle, she just has to keep things separate. Julian says she shouldn’t have to play referee. She tells him to sit back and calm down. He’s her brother, and families stick together.

Sam tells Monica that Drew’s son is Oscar Nero. Monica says she just hired a Nero, and Sam says that’s Oscar’s mother. Josslyn and Oscar made the connection. She thinks they’re dating, and Monica thinks that should keep it interesting. Monica asks if Drew and Oscar have met, and Sam says briefly, but it was before they knew. Monica says two new additions to the family within a week. Sam says it must feel like a miracle, and Monica asks how it feels to her?

Kim tells Oscar it might be good to have a man in his life at this point, and he has the right to know his father. He doesn’t know what to think, and she tells him that it’s his decision. She’ll support him no matter what. He asks what if it’s a mistake, and she says they’ll deal with it together. From what she knew back in the day, and heard since she’s been here, he seems like a good guy; very open to getting to know him and being in his life.

Jason believes Britt is telling the truth. Whatever Faison was doing was blown to hell, and he’s running. Drew says that’s not enough; he needs to be stopped. Jason tells him that Spinelli is trying to find out more information. Jason does think there’s someone who might know what happened – Drew. They had him for three months before they got Jason. He might know more than he realizes. Drew says thanks to Andre, all of his memories are Jason’s.

Ned tells Olivia his issue isn’t Jason’s return, but what it means to ELQ. Olivia doesn’t give a damn, but cares about Michael. Ned say they haven’t always agreed on how to run things, but until now, the playing field was level. Now that went out the window. Olivia says it’s wonderful for the Quartermaines, but not so much for ELQ.

Nelle tells Sonny that he doesn’t scare her. He says she’s either bluffing or stupid; probably both. Michael suggest they work this out. Nelle says they might not like the terms, but she doesn’t care. It’s her body and her baby, and the decision is up to her. If Michael wants to be a father, he has to do better. She says she’s lost her appetite, and gets up. Michael asks her to wait, but she says she can’t. After she leaves, Carly tells him not to give in. Michael tells her to let him do it his way for the baby’s sake.

Oscar tells Kim that he’d be lying if he said he didn’t think about what having father would be like. He’s thought it would be cool; someone to hang with, and talk about stuff. Not that he can’t talk to her. She tells him not to feel guilty. He says for all he knows, it could suck. Drew might not want to be dad. She reminds Oscar that Drew has a daughter, but he says maybe he doesn’t want a teenage son. Kim says she’d be surprised, but the decision is up to him. She thinks he should give it a try. Oscar is worried that they won’t like the same things, or Drew might not like him.

Jason tells Drew if the mapping project was perfect, Drew would be just like him, but he made different choices. That could mean he’s still in there somewhere. Drew says it’s possible, but they have no way of accessing his memories. He tells Jason that it’s not like he hasn’t thought about him, or has no sympathy, but when he showed up, everything Drew believed, felt, and knew was true, was stripped from him. In return, the only thing he got was a service record.

Sam tells Monica she hadn’t thought about herself. She’s been focused on Drew, and will be happy if they can work it out. She doesn’t know how to deal with a teenage boy, but she’s had experience with the girls in the family. Monica says that not once has she uttered the word “Jason.” Sam says she came to talk about Drew; he’s her husband, and she loves him. Monica says he also has another family, including a son. Is she wondering if he goes back, will it give her the freedom to be with Jason?

Julian decides to change the subject, and asks Ava when she last saw Avery? Ava says it’s been a long time, but nothing is ever hopeless. She has to wait for an opportunity, and seize it when she it comes along. Julian has to meet with Scotty, and Ava says to tell him to step up his game. Julian says he’s been surprisingly competent, and she hopes that trend continues. Julian leaves, and Ava sees Nelle at the counter. She says hello, and tells Nelle she looks really good. Nelle says she’s probably noticing her glow. They’re about to be related, in a way. Avery is going to be an aunt.

Michael says he doesn’t care any more about Nelle than Sonny does about Ava. Nelle thinks she hit the jackpot. He can’t let her do that, but he doesn’t want what happened to Avery happen with his baby. He doesn’t want a tug-of-war legal battle. There has to be a better way, and  he’ll find it prior to the child being born, since Nelle won’t.

Kim thinks the possibility of Drew not liking Oscar is slim. Oscar is smart, interesting, kind, and compassionate. What’s not to like? Oscar says they seems so different, but Kim tells him to name a family that’s made up of carbon copies. Maybe Drew is a guy’s guy, and likes football and hanging out in a man cave. Maybe he’s never heard Mozart, but that doesn’t mean he can’t appreciate it, or Oscar. All they need to have in common is to be good people. Oscar says he’s going to go for it. What does he have to lose? Kim says whatever happens, she has him.

Drew tells Jason that he stared at the service jacket for days, but noting. He can’t remember a name, face, sound or smell. He can’t think of anything, even why he served. What makes Jason think he can pull out something out about Faison? Jason tells Drew that he has brain damage. The first twenty years of his life is gone, and he’s never getting it back. Drew’s memories are just buried. Maybe he can still find them. Drew thinks it would be easier if he could flip a switch, but even if he could, is that really his life anymore? Jason understands, and thanks Drew for his time. Drew tells him that if he gets a lead and wants help, he wants Jason to know that he will.

Sam tells Monica everyone’s making it a bigger deal than it is. Drew and Kim barely knew each other. They had a son; it’s not like they had a family, like with her and Jason. Sam says she can’t say Jason’s name, let alone be around him. The memories come back, and she doesn’t know what to do with that. Monica asks if her feelings toward Drew have changed, and she says no. He’s her husband and she loves him. They’ve built a life together, but how is she supposed to go on? Monica thinks eventually things will come to a head.

Monica comes back to the living room, and Ned asks who was at the door. Monica tells him it was Sam. Olivia asks how she’s doing, and Monica says, overwhelmed. Michael comes in and says he has news. Ned asks if it’s sit down news, or popping champagne news? Michael says that depends. He’s going to be a father.

Carly says it’s all well and good, but at the end of the day, Nelle is having a baby, and she doesn’t trust her. Sonny doesn’t like it, but Michael said he can handle it. He adds, unless it becomes necessary for him to step in. He tells Carly she can’t overreact. If he takes action, everything will change.

Ava congratulates Nelle, and asks if there will be wedding bells. Nelle says, no; that’s not likely. They’re not in the best place. The only worse place is with his parents. Ava says, oh, the wrath of Sonny and Carly – her condolences. Nelle says she has to prepare herself for going forward; it could be just her and the baby; no family or friends. Ava says not as long as she’s around, and suggests they talk.

Monica tells Michael it complicates things, but it’s wonderful news. Olivia says she’ll have another baby to spoil, and Ned says that Cousin Leo can push him around. Monica says they have yet another addition, and Ned asks if there’s another Jason. Monica and I both go, ha-ha! She says apparently, Drew has a son, Oscar. Michael asks if she means Josslyn’s boyfriend, and she says she does. The family is growing by leaps and bounds.

Kim has to get to work. She tells Oscar that she’s sorry for not telling him the truth, and that he had to find out on his own. When she gets out in the hallway, her phone rings. She tells the caller that she has appointments, but understands. She’ll see them shortly. I’m hoping she’s not in on a scam of some kind.

Sam stands around on the docks. No surprise, Jason shows up. He approaches her. The look at each other with soap opera stares.

Drew goes to see Oscar.

Jason asks Sam not to walk away. Talk to him.

Tomorrow, Anna tells Finn to decline Cassandra’s offer; Valentin tells Cassandra that Windemere is off-limits, and Kim wants nothing to do with Monica.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey

Melissa gets ready to go to Milan. She tells Joe #2 she’s going for business, but hopes that the change of scenery helps the girls mend fences. Since Italy is for lovers, she wishes he was coming.

Margaret says, the higher the heel, the better you feel. She tells her staff that the fashion show got ugly, and she wants it to blow over. No international incidents.

Siggy begs Michael for help with packing. She wants to spend one-on-one time with Teresa, Melissa, and Dolores. She wants to call Margaret out on her Hitler reference. She’s like a broken record. She fixates on something and it never goes away. Now that I think about it, that seems to be a Housewives trademark. Siggy says Italy isn’t the place to bring up this huge elephant though, insuring that she will.

Teresa says it’s bittersweet, since the last time she was in Italy was with the whole family. Her father says he’s charging her three hundred bucks a night for staying with the kids. I’m pretty certain he’s kidding, but I wouldn’t blame him.

Dolores is excited. She doesn’t know where they all stand, but it’s still nice to go with them. Wow. Desperate.

We’re already in Milan. Fastest. Airplane ride. Ever. Melissa has visions of handsome men tossing prosciutto into their mouths as they walk by. Melissa and Margaret have a meeting to go to, and the rest plan their day. Melissa and Margaret have the presidential suite, and Melissa has them draw for the other rooms, which are just as grand. Everything is huge and very Italian. Margaret and Melissa head for a showroom. Dolores just wants pasta. She and Siggy go shopping, while Teresa and Danielle decide to go to a restaurant.

Danielle tells Teresa that she modeled there when she was younger. Teresa tells her she was pregnant with Milania when she was there last time. She brought her mother’s rosary beads to bring her along. Teresa misses her, but feels like her mother is right beside her. They sightsee a little, and go for a drink. They toast to Teresa’s dad, and Teresa tries to drink through the stirrer. Danielle wants to get along with everyone, but feels like there’s an elephant in the room. She says Dolores thinks she hasn’t done anything wrong. Teresa says Dolores told her that she went off on Kim D., but Danielle finds it hard to believe, since it didn’t happen when they were there.

Dolores thinks Danielle is deceptive, and Siggy thinks Margaret goes out of her way to be offensive, making it hard for her to enjoy Italy. Dolores says Margaret owes her an apology.

Melissa and Margaret discuss Dolores getting in Melissa’s face at the fashion show. Melissa tells Margaret either Dolores dismisses her completely, or an explosion happens. In her interview, Melissa suggests the trip is like a ticking time bomb, and she’s dreading it.

The showroom has a giant unicorn in the middle of it. Melissa tells the designer (?) she likes classy, but sexy, and is shown some merchandise. In her interview, she talks about having to rebuild the store from nothing, after splitting with her partner. We flash back to the place emptied out. She admits to buying more stuff for her closet than the store, but says store is her closet. Melissa says, one for me, one for the store.

Margaret pops some champagne, and it goes everywhere. Danielle comes by, and Teresa tells Melissa about seeing the cathedral. Danielle talks to Margaret about the elephant. Teresa thought she and Siggy made up, but Danielle is right. Siggy should have stuck up for her in front of her. Melissa says she hates bringing stuff up. Margaret says things could get heated.

The ladies gather for dinner. Dolores says the pit in her stomach isn’t there, but you never know. On the way to the restaurant, they discuss being hangry, a condition from which I suffer, and is now recognized by spellcheck. They have a semi-private table, with a preset menu. Since we’re five, the girls play with the candle wax from the table candles. The drinks arrive. Dolores says she might get drunk. Danielle explains how to give a man a rainbow. If you don’t know what that is, google it. I’m not explaining.

Joe #1 emails Teresa, jokingly calling her cheater. Siggy doesn’t find it funny, and decides to bring up the elephant. What did I say? In her interview, Melissa says, told you – tick, tick, tick, boom! Siggy insists she defended Teresa 100%. Danielle says they didn’t see it, so who knows? Melissa says Kim D. was screaming and yelling at Teresa, and all she did was ask them if they were still walking in the show. Then she does a spot-on impression of Dolores getting an inch from her face, and says that’s what she got. Dolores says she felt bad when it was over. In her interview, Melissa says she was shamed like she was in grade school, and doesn’t know what kind of friendship Dolores is used to, but she doesn’t roll with that. Dolores says she and Teresa went against them with Margaret and Danielle, proving Melissa’s point that this is grade schoolish. Siggy says the argument Margaret used Hitler as a comparison wasn’t appropriate, and asks for a show of hands. All she gets is several women trying to explain what an analogy is. In her interview, Margaret says, deflect much? Kim D.’s only goal in life is to destroy Teresa and Melissa. How is she supposed to make an analogy about evil without using someone who is? Margaret tells Siggy that her husband and kids are Jewish. Siggy says she knows plenty of people who have married Jewish people who hate Jews. What?! Margaret says this is bullsh*t, and Siggy calls her anti-Semitic. After a beat of dead silence, it starts to get loud, and quickly escalates to stupid and nasty.

Siggy says, tell the bitch to sit down, referring either to Margaret or Danielle. In her interview, Margaret says Siggy doesn’t want the focus on her, because she doesn’t want to take responsibility for her actions. Siggy gets up, saying she’s not listening to Danielle. She’s known Teresa for ten seconds, and she doesn’t need Margaret or Danielle to understand her. She tells Danielle to stay out of it, calling her disgusting and a bitch. Danielle calls Siggy a bitch, a hypocrite, and a liar, and starts throwing things around. In her interview, Teresa says she called Danielle a “prostitution whore,” and flipped a table on her, but she’s never seen her this mad. Danielle and Teresa start to leave, and Siggy yells, go to jail! and, act like a lady! Melissa tells her to stop her mouth. On her way out, Margaret says they should go back to the United States. In her interview, Margaret says they’re constantly attacking her and Danielle, and not sticking up for Teresa and Melissa. Outside, Dolores tells Siggy to calm down and take a walk with her.

Margaret says Siggy knows she’s not anti-Semitic, and when she’s insecure, she resorts to name calling and taking potshots. Siggy says Teresa and Melissa not standing up for her about Margaret’s Hitler statement is beyond shocking. In her interview, Margaret says there’s nothing more vile than character assassination. She tells Teresa that their spat has turned into and all out war, and it’s going to have an epic ending.

Margaret, Teresa, and Danielle meet in the morning. Margaret says she was on the phone with Joe #3 all night. She’d thought they were fine, and should have listened to Danielle. Melissa joins. Danielle says that Siggy goes for the jugular with Margaret. In her interview, Danielle says that when Siggy dismissed her, it was a trigger for her. We flash back to some other times Danielle was triggered. She tells them that Siggy is always bragging about what a good friend she is to them; she must have missed something.

Dolores visits Siggy, who’s had no sleep. She doesn’t understand why Margaret wouldn’t admit that her remark was in poor taste. She knows Margaret isn’t anti-Semitic, but she’s ignorant.

Melissa tells the ladies that she’s booked a canal tour. Danielle has decided to lay low for the day and regroup. Melissa says Siggy isn’t coming, but Dolores is, and Danielle is like, omg, they’re separating?

Dolores tells Siggy that she’s going on the tour. Melissa comes by to tell Dolores it’s time to get ready. She asks Siggy how she’s doing, and Siggy is upset about last night. Melissa suggests she talk to Danielle. Siggy says she wasn’t dismissing her. She was mad at Margaret, and took it out on her. Siggy calls Danielle, telling her she wants to talk and clear the air. Danielle agrees to meet.

In the limo, Margaret says the need a mellow day. Teresa suggests a restaurant with separate rooms. Margaret says it’s too bad it has to be this way. Dolores has made a pact to stop, and apologizes. In her interview, she still doesn’t think it was wrong to walk in the fashion show, but doesn’t want to talk to her friends that way. She makes it clear that she doesn’t feel badly about Danielle though; she provokes.

Joes #2 and #3, meet with Frank, and Danielle’s boyfriend, Marty. They talk about their kids, and Joe #2 is at a loss about his daughter, since the boys will be after her. Marty thinks as long as she knows his concern, he just has to hope for the best. Joe #3 talks about his daughter sneaking out. Frank says trust her, but not the guys. Joe #2 says never mind their daughters, their women got kicked out of a restaurant in Italy. Frank doesn’t think it would be too funny if they got a call from jail.

The guide tells the girls stuff about the canal. Melissa addresses someone in half Italian, half Spanish. The ladies remark on how cute the guides are, and take pictures on a bridge. In her interview, Margaret says good thing Miss Crazy Pants isn’t there creating a scene or slandering people, but she misses Danielle.

Siggy meets Danielle on the terrace. She apologizes about being dismissive; it was uncalled for, and she didn’t deserve it. Danielle says Siggy has hurt her feelings before, but she became unhinged. She saw red, and she doesn’t want to see that color again. She introduced Margaret to everyone, and doesn’t know how they got to that place. Siggy says Margaret has done nothing but attack her. She knew about her hysterectomy, and called her Soggy. (sigh) The Hitler reference was hurtful to her, and once again, Margaret hit a nerve. Danielle says because Margaret isn’t there, she needs to say that she hasn’t seen that kind of intention. Not to demean what she went through, but it would have been better for Siggy to just say she didn’t like it, and pick another analogy. Siggy says she’s sorry she took it out on Danielle. She thinks Margaret’s energy doesn’t work with her. Danielle thinks it’s probably the same with Margaret. In her interview, Danielle says Margaret is one of the good ones, and she’ll always have her back, no matter what. She tells Siggy that she’s still hurt, but baby steps. They hug.

Melissa feels touristy and warm inside. They sit down for lunch. Dolores wishes everyone was there, and by that, I’m sure she means Siggy. Melissa says she talked to Siggy, and there has to be a way. She mentions that Siggy listens to Dolores more, but Dolores says Siggy has her own deal. Teresa asks if she thinks Margaret is anti-Semitic, and Dolores says no, but she thinks Margaret is anti-Siggy. Margaret says she wasn’t until last night. Dolores says Margaret wants to make a point about things she doesn’t know the dynamics of. In her interview, Dolores accuses Margaret of stirring the pot. She tells Margaret that she might have reacted the same way, but Margaret doubts it. Dolores says she doesn’t like being pitted against someone, and Margaret is pushing the limit; she’s getting annoyed. Do she and Siggy make up parallel bizarro worlds in their heads? Teresa tells Dolores that she thinks because Siggy doesn’t like Margaret, she’s not giving her a chance. Dolores says while she doesn’t appreciate how Margaret “handles” Siggy, that’s not the case. Okay, maybe she and Siggy are both just full of it. In her interview, Margaret says that Siggy could be holding a bloody knife, saying she didn’t do it, and Dolores would back her up. Dolores says in her honest opinion, Margaret and Siggy can never be friends. Melissa thinks the trip is going to be horrendous. Teresa says they’re like oil and vinegar, and after a moment in which everyone takes that in, they correct her. Now that was funny.

Siggy calls Michael. She feels like it’s hard to explain what she’s going through with Margaret. Everyone is making her feel like there’s something wrong with her. That’s because there is. Michael says Margaret doesn’t like her. Siggy needs to take her own advice, and walk away from a toxic situation. His advice is to come home. Siggy says she’s done, and Michael tells her if she doesn’t put stop to it, he will. She says coming home.

Next time, champagne, a bike ride, cooking, Joe #2 has a sit-down with his girls, Siggy cries some more, and Margaret takes an informal poll about her being anti-Semitic.

December 12, 2017 – Nelle Holds Court & a Below Deck Farewell

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Carly thanks Bobbie for coming. Bobbie says from the way Carly sounded, she didn’t know whether she needed to be stopped from killing someone or needed help burying a body. Carly says it’s Nelle. Bobbie thought Michael was done with her, but Carly says Nelle isn’t done with them. At least not for the next nine months.

At the MetroCourt, Nelle says good morning to Sonny. He suggests she eat somewhere else, but she says she’s having cravings lately. He asks if she’s expecting someone, and she says she is. He says someone will have to pay for her breakfast; he’s just glad it’s not his son.

Dante sees Michael at the station, and Michael says his car was towed. Like the week wasn’t bad enough. Dante offers to make some calls, but Michael says he already paid the fee. Dante asks if he got any sleep, and Michael says no, but he guesses that will be good for some training. Dante asks what he’s saying, and Michael says Nelle is pregnant.

At Kelly’s, Lulu tells Laura about busting Nelle. Laura asks if Michael is done with her now, and Lulu says once and for all. It felt good to expose her, but it wasn’t exactly what she needed to impress Peter August enough to hire her. Laura says if anyone can do it, she can. Lulu says she’s her mother’s daughter. Laura says she’s ready to take on a new challenge of her own.

Finn knocks on Cassandra’s door, and she welcomes him in. There’s a table laden with a huge breakfast and champagne. She says now that she has a clean bill of health, her appetite and joie de vivre have returned with a vengeance. I really like Jessica Tuck in this role.

Anna meets Sonny for coffee. She asks if it’s about Faison. Sonny says he was there in Port Charles less than 24-hours ago; he and Jason just missed him. He slides the envelope over to her and she pulls out the manuscript, The Severed Branch by P.K. Sinclair. She says it’s Faison’s pen name. It’s starting again. Omg, I hope so.

Carly tells Bobbie that she had to be fair. In the beginning, she thought Nelle was misguided, and did nothing while she got her hooks in Michael. Bobbie says Nelle wouldn’t be the first to fake a pregnancy, but Carly says it was confirmed. She’s pregnant. Bobbie says they have to get a paternity test, and Carly says the appointment has already been made, but she’s not overly optimistic. Nelle is willing to take the test, and she doesn’t think Nelle would risk it if it wasn’t Michael’s. Bobbie asks how Michael feels, and Carly tells her he refuses to walk away. Bobbie says she raised a stand-up guy. Carly says Nelle counted on that, but what she didn’t count on was her. She wants Bobbie to access the test when it comes back. Bobbie asks what she’s suggesting.

Nina and Charlotte go to the MetroCourt. Charlotte sees Nelle and runs to her. She tells Nelle that they’re going to see Santa. Nelle says it’s one of those fun mother/daughter moments, and then corrects that to stepmother. Nina tells Charlotte to go get hot chocolate and cookies. After she leaves, Nina says Nelle couldn’t pay her rent a week ago, now she’s dining at the most expensive restaurant. Nelle says it has nothing to do with her, but Nina says it does. She’s paying with the money she made by selling out Nina’s brother. Carly wasn’t right about Nelle. Nelle is even worse than she said.

Michael tells Dante that Nelle is really pregnant, and he’s probably the father. Dante says he has a lot to think about. Michael says just when he thought they were done, there’s a child. Nathan pops in, asking where Britt is, and goes into the interrogation room to see her. They hug.

Anna asks how Sonny got the manuscript, and he tells her about tracing Obrecht’s burner phone. Spinelli tracked a call to a suite at the Cosmopolitan. They missed Faison, but Britt was there. She said she was tired of running, and stayed behind. She told them the last thing Faison did was burn the manuscript. Anna takes it out of the plastic folder.

Cassandra says Finn hasn’t touched his champagne, and asks if he’s on call. He says they have nothing to celebrate yet. She says what a shame the bean counters at GH care more about the bottom line than human suffering. Finn says he knows all the rules and regulations are for a reason, and Cassandra tells him sometimes you can’t use red tape to bind a wound. He says a doctor’s job is to push boundaries in order to move forward, but they’re sitting on life changing treatments, keeping them from those who need them the most. Cassandra says it’s unconscionable the way the administration treated him after he gave them his profits. He says you’d think they’d cut him some slack, but instead put up roadblocks, and patients are suffering. She says it’s cruel and unnecessary, but the hospital’s loss is their gain. If the breakthrough is what he says it is, she can find a way to develop it, and fast track the distribution. He asks if that’s code for bending the law or breaking it.

Laura tells Lulu about the possible redevelopment of the Charles Street area. Lulu asks why it’s a bad idea, and Laura says she’s not against it, but there are a lot of memories, rich history, diversity, and culture there. Why spoil it with high-rise condos and expensive stores selling nothing anybody needs? I’m with Laura on this, since it happened with a neighborhood near me, when eminent domain was abused. Lulu wonders if she shouldn’t be focused on the wedding, and asks if they have a date.

Nelle tells Nina she told the truth. Nina says she wasn’t being noble. She wanted to make a quick buck and get back at her. Nelle says after Chet (calling him “Chad”) told his story, the book sales got a boost. Technically, she should get a cut. She asks Nina what she has going in terms of good childcare. She and Michael will be looking for a nanny soon. Nina says, poor Michael. Poor Michael nothing. I haven’t heard him say anything about birth control once, and I think he’s old enough to know you need to use it if you don’t want a baby.

Carly tells Bobbie that Nelle plays dirty; they have to play dirtier. Bobbie says she would walk on broken glass for her family, but if the baby is his, the truth will come out. If Michael suspects she kept him from his child, it won’t be good. Carly asks what she’s supposed to do, and Bobbie says it isn’t up to her. Sorry, but the decision is Michael’s, and what he says, goes. Carly says he wants what’s best for the baby, but Nelle is going to use it to worm her way back into his life. Bobbie says probably, but Carly doesn’t have to embrace her. Carly tells Bobbie that Michael won’t let her exclude Nelle, and Nelle will use the baby as leverage to get what she wants.

Dante tells Michael that Nelle isn’t his favorite person, but no matter what, all that matters is the baby. He asks if Michael told Carly and Sonny. Michael says Carly knows, but he hasn’t said anything to Sonny yet. Dante says that Sonny will understand. He despises Ava, but loves Avery. No matter how he feels about Nelle, he will love the child.

Britt tells Nathan that she got tired of running, and tagging along with her father. He wasn’t as bad as she expected, and at times was somewhat kind, but she couldn’t live in limbo. She’s decided to deal with the charges against her, and what comes next. Nathan is sorry for the circumstances, but grateful for the timing. He could use some sisterly advice. He’s going to be a dad. She hugs him.

Cassandra tells Finn that she wouldn’t dream of breaking or bending the law. Regulations maybe, but not the law. He tells her it’s a fine distinction, but she says regulations can prevent progress, while the law facilitates it. She thinks it’s possible for her to fund his research, and circumvent the regulations. He can contribute to society, and be properly rewarded. She wants to shake on it, but he says he’d better not.

Anna looks through the manuscript, and asks if Sonny read it, but he wanted her to look at it first. She says as far as she knows, Faison hasn’t written anything in years. Sonny tells her that Britt said it just showed up, and Faison was shook. Anna thinks he would be too vain to burn his own work, but the true mystery is in the ending. There isn’t one.

Carly tells Bobbie from the moment Nelle slithered her way into town, she had an agenda. Nothing is ever her fault, and she’s always the victim. Michael practically has a neon sign that says, damsel in distress, how can I help? He finally sees her for who she is, and tells her to get lost, and now there’s a baby. Carly knows she did something similar, and wonders if it’s payback or karma biting her in the ass? Bobbie says she forgave Carly long ago, but Nelle isn’t her; she’s a conniving snake. Carly says, and now she’s pregnant. Bobbie tells her every child is a gift. Carly needs to focus on the baby.

Nelle tells Nina that she and Michael are both thrilled. Too bad Nina and Valentin can’t share that feeling, since she can’t have children. Wow. That was mean. Nina says there’s more to motherhood than getting pregnant, and for the baby’s sake, hopes Nelle realizes that. Charlotte comes back, and asks if Nelle can come, but Nina says she has to finish her food; she worked really hard for it. Nelle says she’s waiting for someone, and tells them merry Christmas.

Laura says she can’t wait to marry Doc, and Lulu asks why she is. The sooner she picks a date, the sooner she can make arrangements. Laura says they’ve both been there and done that, and they want something cozy and intimate. Lulu asks if she can help, but Laura says no. She’ll be the first to know when they pick a date; just keep working on her big scoop. Lulu says it will have to wait. She’s meeting Charlotte in the park to see Santa.

Britt tells Nathan to congratulate Maxie, who probably hasn’t forgiven her. She says Obrecht must be over the moon. Nathan is surprised Britt didn’t reach out to her, but Britt says she’ll be there soon enough with lots of helpful criticism. He wishes the circumstances were different, but he’s glad to see her, and is going to do his best to get her out. He’s going to need some advice, and she says she is an OB/GYB; what does he want to know? He says they can start with the family history. Obrecht is dragging her feet.

Anna tells Sonny most authors put a couple of meanings in the title. Sonny says that Britt didn’t think her father wrote it, but if that’s the case, who did? Anna says he has to start with the publisher. She apologizes that she can’t do the legwork, but he tells her he has Spinelli to work on it. Anna says to tell him to be careful. If this is tied to Faison, they can’t take any chances.

Cassandra asks Finn if he’s turning her down. He says no, he appreciates the offer. She says he hides it well, but he tells her he needs time to think. She respects that, although she finds it frustrating. She says she’s going to talk to other researchers in the field while she’s waiting. Finn says he’ll make a decision very soon, as long as there are no other deals in the meantime. Cassandra says she’ll wait, but don’t take too long. He leaves, and they both smile on opposite sides of the closed door.

At the MetroCourt, Anna sees Finn, and asks how the meeting went. He tells her that Cassandra seems to be interested in pain management, and was ready to write a check to fund his research, since the hospital already turned him down. Anna asks if he signed up for that, and when he says no, she says, oh, he played hard to get; good. Finn asks if this is this point where she tells him to get out before it’s too late. She says she cares about his welfare, but since he’s determined, she has no choice but to let him do what he wants. It wouldn’t help anything to have him arrested, so have at it. He tells her that he’s not doing this for an adrenaline rush or to be a hero, but to put a small dent in the epidemic. Anna wants that too, among other things. He says they’re on the same page then. He leaves to get coffee, but keeps turning around to look at her, since he can’t believe it was that easy.

Michael tells Dante that he can’t put it off any longer. He promised meet with Nelle. Dante knows it’s not how Michael wanted it to go, but however it shakes out, the family will be there.

At the park, Nina asks if Charlotte has a list for Santa, and Charlotte asks if they can go shopping for papa afterward. Lulu arrives, and tells Charlotte that the first time she saw her, she was on Santa’s lap. She didn’t know she was Charlotte’s mom, but felt an instant connection. She asks if Charlotte is excited about their first Christmas together, but Charlotte looks sad. She asks Nina if she and papa will be lonely. Nina says they’ll miss her, but will have their own Christmas after. Charlotte gets excited about having two Christmases, and Nina says it’s a bonus.

On the phone, Sonny tells Spinelli that he’s sending a package to him that he needs to work on asap. Nelle tells the waitress to put her bill on Mr. Corrinthos’s tab. Sonny says he won’t be joining her or buying her breakfast, and Nelle says she meant Michael. The waitress says she’ll have to get his approval first, and leaves. Sonny says Nelle wanted him to hear, but she says she’d rather he not notice her at all. She’s waiting for Michael. He tells her not to hold her breath. She asks if he has Monica’s number. She thinks it would be a good idea to get together and discuss their future as a family. They need to get past the animosity and suspicion, and get along, now that she’s having a baby. Carly walks in and makes a disgusted face.

Finn tries to get into his room, but his keycard won’t work.

Dante sees Laura, and she says he just missed Lulu, but since here, she’s wondering if Michael mentioned any details about the Charles Street development. He asks if she wants him to reveal a confidential conversation, and she takes that as a yes.

Lulu thanks Nina, who says it was important to Charlotte that they all be there. She gives Lulu some coffee, and says she would have gone to Kelly’s if she’d known she was going to run into Nelle. She said she was eating for two, and Lulu will never guess who the father is. Lulu says, Michael. She can’t believe it. She was just saying how glad he must be to be rid of her. Charlotte has a piece of paper with her list on it, and Lulu looks at the other side. It’s a ballot, and she asks Charlotte where she got it.

Sonny asks Carly to tell him it’s a lie. She wishes she could, but Nelle is definitely pregnant, and it could be Michael’s. Finn interrupts, telling Carly his keycard isn’t working. Carly says that’s because he checked out; she had the locks reset. He freaks about his stuff and Roxie, but she says she had housekeeping pack up everything, and made sure they were gentle with Roxie. She liked having him there, but right now she’s in middle of something. She tells him good luck. He wonders what’s going on, and turns around to see Anna dangling a key from her hand.

Nelle says she, Carly, and Sonny should discuss their grandchild. Carly says she’s going to milk this, isn’t she? Nelle says she’s not apologizing for wanting the best for her kid.

Dante tells Laura he knows where Lulu got her devious streak. Laura says he can’t blame a girl for trying. Dante tells her that there’s going to be a public hearing, but it’s probably just a formality.

Charlotte asks if she did something wrong. Lulu says she was just wondering where Charlotte found it. Charlotte says at Windemere, and Lulu tells Nina it’s a ballot.

Britt says it was a mixed blessing, having Obrecht as her mom her whole life. Just when she thought she could predict her or figure her out, she would discover Obrecht was playing a completely different game, so she gave up. Nathan wonders if he shouldn’t bother, and Britt tells him to keep pressing. Just focus on the facts, and don’t try to figure out her motives. He needs to do his best. The more complete the family history, the better to anticipate issues in the future. He turned out fine, and she’s sure his child will too. The guard comes in, saying it’s time for lock-up. Nathan tells her not to lose hope. After she’s gone, he calls Obrecht. He says he has news, and questions that still need answering.

Michael is surprised to see Sonny and Carly with Nelle, and asks if she invited his parents. She says no, it was just good luck. Sonny says he can call it a lot of other things. Nelle suggests they discuss the wonderful new addition, and says it’s a blessing.

On the phone, Cassandra says she has good news. The new product might be ready sooner than expected. She found the man and means to speed up the process.

Finn asks Anna what the keys are for. She says what they’re usually for, unlocking a door. He says, like his was supposed to do? She says they live in a house, not a hotel, and if he insists on doing business with Cassandra, she’s responsible for keeping him alive. He tells her he can take care of himself. She says his life is her legal responsibility. She has to keep him as close as possible to insure his safety. He asks if he can’t just sign a waiver. She tells him if he wants to play, these are the rules. She’ll see him at home. He rolls his eyes.

Tomorrow, Ava tells Julian that family sticks together, Nelle tells Michael that he’ll regret it if he refuses to make her life easy, and Jason goes to see Drew.

Below Deck – Reunion

Or what I like to call, the cheap reunion, since it’s always in the clubhouse, instead of some amazing palace. Everyone looks fab, especially Kate and Baker.

In a quick catch up, we find out that Baker’s step-uncle is Thomas Ravenel (Southern Charm). Nico recently spread his brother’s ashes, and his family is working on promoting organ tissue donation. He says it was a tough decision to make to come back this season.

We flash back on how green the crew was. Captain Lee laughs, Nico looks mortified, and Jen has nothing at all in her head. A viewer asks who the captain would or would not work with again. He wants to plead the fifth, but Chris (who was fired mid-season and isn’t there) is a definite no. Kate says it was extra work this season, and she had to split tips with people who didn’t work as hard, and were unappreciative of the work that was done. A viewer asks if EJ thinks someone else should have been fired. He says he was on the fence, although Chris seemed to be pulling his weight. Captain Lee has no regrets. Baker says Chris was the weakest link, but it was sink or swim. Nico says he wasn’t a bad guy, but his work ethic was just so enough to get by. Kyle says it didn’t feel like his Valor.

We go back to EJ coming on board, Nico’s feelings about it, and the struggle being real between them. Andy asks if Nico would have had issues with anyone, and he says it was painful to watch. He thinks he was mentally stressed, and it was like the last straw. He felt hurt. Andy asks if Captain Lee thought Nico deserved bosun, and he says, hell no. Andy points out Nico threatening to quit if he didn’t become bosun, and Nico is like, geez, pick on me, why don’t you? EJ says his apology was half-hearted, but he knew it wasn’t going to change. The captain says he didn’t see the childish behavior during the season, and didn’t appreciate it when he saw it on TV. Nico hadn’t gone through the maturation process he should have. Nico agrees he shouldn’t have acted that way, but thinks he did earn his promotion. Captain Lee says the time to get it right is in the moment, not apologize when it’s over, and make excuses. They have a job to do. Either do it, or accept the help. Nico didn’t have the common sense to accept and appreciate the help he was given. Nico admits his comments are fair.

Hook-ups and near hook-ups are reviewed, including Bruno’s turn as a sushi platter. Almost everyone is single. EJ is asked why he didn’t seal the deal with Baker, but he says it seemed wrong to kiss her and leave. He adds that it wasn’t what he was there to do. Andy asks if Baker would have been receptive. She says nothing wrong with that, and he suggests the night is young. Andy asks if Matt hadn’t been so drunk, would Bri have been more receptive? She says it was a bummer for sure. Matt thinks it worked out for the best, since they did work closely together. We find out Bri’s guy just left NYC, and Bri says they’re not dating yet, but thinks she’s in love.

Andy asks about the charter guest that grabbed Jen’s butt, and if they really suggested a threesome. Jen says it was more like a broad suggestion. Kate is asked why she didn’t address it with the captain. She says Jen had told her they were drunk and out of control, which happens a lot with charter guests. It’s not right, but out in international waters, they think they paid to do whatever they want, plus there’s alcohol. Kate says knowing what she knew, she handled it appropriately. She made sure Jen wasn’t alone with them, and gave her a whistle. Captain Lee agrees. Andy asks if he knew what was going on, but he says he saw it on TV. He says separating Jen was the best thing, because there’s no reasoning with a drunk. If he’d needed to get involved, they’d have walked home.

Next up is Nico and Bri. BTW, Nico is looking cute with a bit of a Miami Vice scruffy look. We see clips of them, and Nico ending up going back to his girlfriend. He says they got together for a short amount of time, but it didn’t work out. Andy asks how pissed she was. Nico says he told her beforehand. She wasn’t happy, but he doesn’t really regret it. He thanks Bri for being supportive during a bad time. Going back to his girlfriend, he says hearing something, and seeing it physically unravel, are two different things. Bri thinks he wasn’t totally honest, because she didn’t know it was a committed relationship. She says if she’d had more feelings invested, she would have been hurt, but it was more like being there for each other. Andy calls it a boatmance.

A viewer asks what happened in Barcelona between Bri and Nico? Bri says it was Nico’s birthday, and she was drunk when she met him. They shared a cab back, but nothing happened. Again, the lying about his girlfriend question comes up. I thought we covered that already. Andy asks about regrets. Nico thinks he was clear, and Bri said she liked being free. Bri concurs that she’s not heartbroken either way.

Jen is next, and we review what an a-hole she is. Kate is not amused, and Jen looks embarrassed. A viewer asks what she thought she was signing up for? She says she knew, but admits to complaining. Kate is asked if it was the worst crew ever, and if she could have been nicer. She says until you work on a charter, you can’t comprehend how much work there is. The worst season for her was on the Eros with Rocky (yeah, she was certifiable). Kate says it was not good. Jen says they had a banter that was sarcastic, witty, and jovial, but there’s a fine line between joking and insulting. Jen apologizes, and Kate concedes that she was being a bitch sometimes.

Captain Lee says on the boat, he wasn’t privy to what was going on. Kate never came to him with anything about Jen. After he saw it, had he known about a couple of instances, he would have read Jen the riot act. Kyle says he didn’t think things were so jovial, and he defended Kate when Jen “slagged her off.” Kate says let Jen vent, and she can defend herself. Bri says they were hard on each other, and Matt says thy actually had fun, because he can’t stand being left out.

A viewer brings up them using the word “whore,” and both Kate and Jen apologize. Another viewer asks why it’s okay with Jen to call Baker a whore, and Jen says she apologized to Baker. She was drunk, and had no place doing that. Baker says end-of-the-night stuff isn’t to be taken seriously. Good attitude! Jen’s drinking is brought up, and Jen says it was hard to watch; it’s not who she is. Oh, how I hate when people say that. Jen says she barely drinks, only champagne, and only on the weekends, every other weekend. Okay…

We move to Jen taking a bite of Kyle’s food, and he says she has no manners. Kyle lectures about asking first. Nico thinks he’s being dramatic, but it’s his thing. Andy asks if something could have happened between Kyle and Jen prior to the food incident. Kyle says he’s with a lot of guys on the boats most of the time, so when he sees an attractive woman, he wants to go for it, even if it’s just to have a good time out. She effed it up with the food. I’m with Jen on this one. It was a clean fork, and he over-reacted. He’s over-reacting right now.

Jen thinks a lot of the crew forgot about their own green time, and says she’s aware of being a lot to handle. Kyle says she played the victim, and was a liar. Kate says she was similar on her first yacht. Andy asks if Bri was working toward being second stew. Bri says she felt like she was from the beginning (yep), and thinks she deserved it. Jen agrees. EJ says Kate knows what she’s doing; the rest aren’t as well versed in different yachts; they’re coming in with little experience. Kate worked with what she had, and got them through the season. Andy asks if Kate would work with Jen again. Kate says no one makes her laugh more. It’s an important quality, and they’re friends. She’s a pleasure to be around, but Kate isn’t sure yachting is for her. She’d work with Jen again, but would like to see her more in her element, and thinks her strengths are suited to other industries.

Bruno joins the group via Skype. He’s been working out, and he’s quite jacked. He’s also gotten engaged to his partner, Joseph. Andy asks if he’s officially gay, and Bruno says if you want to label him, sure. He’s engaged to a beautiful heart and a beautiful person. Bruno is way too altruistic for me. He’s asked if he’s team Nico or team EJ, and he says, Nico for sure. Andy asks why, and he says it’s simple. Nico was there in the beginning, teaching him and being supportive, regardless of his personal issues.

Andy says, Matt started good, but guests didn’t always think his food was well done (BA-DUM-CHH!). We see clips of some complaints. Andy tells us that between Matt’s food gaffs and girlfriend troubles, Bruno helped him. Andy tells Matt it was a rough season. Matt says he brought personal things to the workplace, and wishes he hadn’t. Andy asks Kate if she missed Ben. Kate says good banter makes her laugh, but it’s nice to have break from his intensity. A viewer asks why there’s no sous chef, and Matt says he had Bruno. Andy says no labels; he’s whatever he is. Andy asks Bruno why he helped Matt, and Bruno says he loves cooking. He saw Matt needed help, so why not? He says Matt’s a great listener, and wonders why someone wasn’t helping him out, like Kate did at the end. She didn’t help him all season, but their last powwow showed him how much Kate was a team player. Bruno feels that she only criticized all season. He didn’t see her sitting with Matt like she did during the last charter. I’m wondering when it became the chief stew’s job to help out the chef. Andy asks Kate if Bruno is helpful or a know-it-all. She says he was a little out of line and entitled. They appreciated the team work, but would appreciate it more if he didn’t boast so much. Bruno says he tried to be helpful and turn things around with her, but she wasn’t receptive. Andy asks Bri if Bruno or Jen would make a better stew, and she says Bruno. Captain Lee says, it was too little too late with Matt. He’d thought Matt had it inside, and didn’t need anyone other than what he possessed in his own talents. Kate thinks Bruno would make a wonderful stew, but wouldn’t want to work with him, since he has no respect for her. Bruno says he respects everyone, but respect is mutual, and there were a lot of unpleasant movements. On that note, we bid Bruno goodbye.

Andy asks who Captain Lee’s all-star crew team would be. He decides on Kate, Nico, Eddie, Ben, and Kelley, in that order. Andy says that Nico told Baker he was going to be a plumbing apprentice, and asks how that panned out. Nico says he’s working for the family company, and studying for his captain’s license. He and his brother are buying a boat, and going to be chartering it. Andy asks about any regrets, and EJ says, not kissing Baker. Everyone wants him to do it now, and he says it’s too much pressure. Jen suggests he take her out tonight. Kate thinks she’s friends with everyone, but she and Jen really clicked. Kyle jokes that he’s lonely. Andy thanks them all for a great season, and we’re out. I’ll miss them. And that blue, blue water.

Postscript: The reunion was even cheaper than I thought, since it was also used for tonight’s episode of Watch What Happens Live.

Goodbye

Standard

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

All Britt knows is that her father thought Jason was dead, was furious when he found out otherwise, and wanted the traitor dead. Sonny asks if she knew the traitor’s name, but she says no. She’s truly sorry, but says Jason not only survived, he’s in excellent shape. Why not just move on? Jason says because her father gave his life to someone else.

Drew asks how well she knew him. She says they didn’t know each other long, but their time together was pretty intense. She got pregnant, and Oscar is his son. Sam overhears.

Michael tells Carly that Nelle is pregnant, and Nelle says, congratulations, grandma. <snort> Carly says it’s the oldest trick in the book. Michael says the doctor confirmed it, and she’s six-weeks along. Carly says the baby isn’t his.

Anna goes into the interrogation room, and tells Andre this is a fine predicament.

At the hospital, Finn tells Cassandra that the last test he was worried about is negative; she’s completely in the clear. She wonders why he’s looking upset, and he says he wasted her time, and brought her all the way there for nothing. She says it wasn’t a complete waste, and asks why he’s being so formal with her. He says it has nothing to do with her, and she wonders what’s put him in a foul mood.

Sonny says they know Britt and Faison checked in three days ago. Wasn’t he worried about being recognized? She says her father has a talent for being incognito. She explains that before coming back, they traveled all over Europe, naming some major cities. Jason asks if they went to St. Petersburg, and she says they did. He wonders why they were touring the financial capitals. Sonny thinks maybe he was tracing where the traitor had gone. Jason says maybe he was following the traitor’s path, to see what else they might have done.

Sam joins Kim and Drew, saying she didn’t mean to eavesdrop. Drew asks if Oscar knows, and Kim says she hasn’t told him, but he started asking questions after his brother showed up on Thanksgiving. She says she wore her heart on her sleeve, seeing a face she knew. Drew says, just when think it can’t get more strange. Kim tells him that they hit it off fast, and spent a couple of months together. It wasn’t a fling; they had a real connection, but he was scheduled to be deployed with an open-ended tour. They both knew they’d probably never see each other again. Drew asks if she let him leave without telling him she was pregnant.

Nelle says It’s common knowledge that Carly didn’t know who Michael’s father was, trying to pass him off as Tony Jones’s child, and then AJ’s. No one seemed to have any issue about her sleeping with two brothers, and her stepfather. Nelle says she’s not promiscuous, and has only been with Michael. Carly interjects that it was after she pretended to sleep with Sonny. Carly says she thinks it’s going to be her golden ticket, but the first thing they’re doing is a paternity test.

Andre didn’t expect to see Anna. She asks if he doesn’t think she cares about the people affected?  Or him? He tells her that he didn’t think she wanted anything to do with him. She says he was a good friend when she needed one, and she wants to be one for him, but she has to understand why this happened or why he didn’t come to her. He says he didn’t want to bother her, but she thinks he didn’t want her to know he was playing God with everyone’s lives. She asks, why? Andre says why does it matter? He can’t undo it. Anna says when he came to her that night to say goodbye, he told her that she’d hear things that would make him sound bad, and he wanted her to hold on to the good. She has, and believes him and knows him. She knows someone or something powerful made him do it; it just doesn’t make sense. What was so important that he destroyed all these lives, including his own? Andre says, his wife.

Finn explains to Cassandra that he’s developed a new painkiller that could revolutionize the treatment of patients, but the board is refusing to fund it. Cassandra says that’s shortsighted. The royalties from his last discovery is keeping life in the hospital. He says it doesn’t technically treat an illness, but making patients comfortable is part of their treatment. He tells her that they’re concerned about it being highly addictive if administered incorrectly. Cassandra asks if he’s put in a new drug application, and says he might have to just live with the satisfaction of saving lives. Finn says this time he’d like to get paid, and she says, as well he should.

Jason says maybe killing him wasn’t the traitor’s only job. Maybe they were handling operations in other cities, and Faison wanted to see if they were being handled correctly. Sonny asks Britt what kind of mood he was in, and she says it wasn’t that great to begin with, and got steadily worse. Jason asks when he went out, and what he was wearing when she did. Britt says mostly suits in the daytime, but he went out occasionally in the evening. Jason says those cities are financial capitals, and Sonny thinks Faison needed a clear picture on what the traitor did. He asks Britt if the traitor is dead, and if that’s why he left.

Josslyn and Oscar walk in the park. She says he doesn’t have to see the results. He’s gone his entire life without knowing, and if he wants to go on not knowing, it’s okay. He says it’s not okay to hide from the truth. She tells him to just click, and he asks her to do it. She does, and asks if he wants to look at it, or should she just tell him. Oscar wants her to tell him, and Josslyn says Drew is his father.

Kim didn’t know she was pregnant when Drew left. She found out weeks after he was deployed. Drew says he’s sorry she went through it alone, and Kim says he didn’t do it on purpose. He was a different man in a different life. She tells him it didn’t feel right putting it in a letter, and she couldn’t email or call because he was classified, and she wasn’t family. In all fairness, she didn’t tell his superiors; she thought he should know first. After Oscar was born, the most important thing was to make sure he was loved and cared for and protected. She finished her internship, then her residency and specialty. There was a lot of life to deal with, and she questioned whether or not to drop the bomb on him. The Drew she knew was dedicated to the SEALs. He’d told her once that it wasn’t fair to ask someone to wait, and she wondered if he’d even welcome the news. She thought it was better for Oscar not to know, especially if he didn’t want anything to do with him. Then one Christmas, after the presents were unwrapped, Oscar had fallen asleep. He’d been so excited about Santa, he’d been up all night. At that moment, she realized she was robbing him of all the moments. She contacted the Navy in 2013, but they told her he’d deserted.

Michael tells Carly that he was thinking the same thing, but right now wanted to focus on the pregnancy. One step at a time. Nelle asks if he’s still questioning that he’s the father. Carly says they wouldn’t believe her if she said the sky was blue. Nelle tells Michael that he knows the dates. Michael says he’s constantly caught her in lies, and he’s been lied to before about a child being his, then had the rug pulled out from under him. It’s not happening again, and he won’t believe her until it’s proven.

Andre tells Anna that his wife’s name is Kita; he called her Kato. He met her at an art show, but could focus only on her. She was beautiful with an intoxicating laugh. Her life was like a light, and she was way out of his league. He was scared to talk to her, but as he was leaving, she stopped him. She said if he was going to stare at her all night, at least buy her a drink, and he did. Anna says she sounds incredible. Andre says he fell hard, and they moved in together after six months. She was his best friend, and they were so in love. He joined the WSB, and was sent overseas for a year, but she couldn’t come with him. They decided to elope, so they would stay committed to each other. Anna says he keeps talking about her in the past tense; what happened? Jordan is walking by the door, and hears them. He says after they were married for three months, her sister called him. Something was wrong. Kita was disoriented and losing her memory. He came back, and found out it was the early onset of Alzheimer’s. Anna says, so he created the memory map to save the woman he loved. By now, they’re both crying. Andre says he couldn’t lose her. Jordan listens outside the door.

Britt doesn’t think the traitor is dead; her father was too agitated, and would have been calmer. He got a phone call the other night, and went out. He came back in a foul mood, and said they had to go. Jason asks what this is, showing her a half-burned manuscript by P.K. Sinclair. I get so excited, I don’t even notice the title, which might possibly be significant.

Kim tells Drew that she’s sorry. Drew says given what she knew, she did the best thing. Kim tells him, now it’s up to him to decide what happens next.

Oscar asks Josslyn if this is really happening; Drew is his father. Josslyn can’t believe it’s happening either. He says he’s overwhelmed and shocked. It was one thing to think Drew was his father, and another to have the proof. Josslyn says, omg, the Quartermaines. They’re Drew’s family, and now they’re Oscar’s too, including Michael. He was named after Sonny, but his father is a Quartermaine. Oscar asks if he and Josslyn are related, and she says not even close. She only has half-siblings, and now he does too. Scout is his half-sister. He says it’s kind of cool, but doesn’t know how to process it. His whole life, it’s just been him and his mom. Now, there are all these people, a sister, the Quartermaines. He wonders if it’s a good thing or a bad thing.

Andre spent years developing a master plan that could save Kita, but by the time it was viable, she was too far gone. The light, the energy that was so much a part of her, had been extinguished. She didn’t even know him. Anna asks where she is, and Andre tells her in a facility under her parents care. She occasionally remembered them, but never him. He says with Jason and Andrew, he didn’t mean for things to go this far. He was truly trying to help. Anna believes him. She says she’ll talk to the authorities on his behalf, and Andre says that’s more than he deserves. She tells him take care of himself, and he says her too. She gets up, and he says whoever is behind this is someone powerful. He tells her to be careful, and she tells him to be careful too. When Anna is gone, Jordan walks in. She asks if he was never going to tell her he was married.

Britt says P.K. Sinclair was a pen name her father used when he wrote a series of books about a spy named Daphne in the 80s. Jason wonders why he’d torch his own book, and she says she doesn’t know about that manuscript; she doesn’t think he wrote it. It just showed up, and the last thing he did before he left, was put it in the fireplace. Sonny wonders what about the book could make him so nervous?

Kim tells Drew to take all the time he needs, and she’ll do a DNA test if he wants. She’s not expecting anything from him. She’s been taking care of Oscar his whole life, and they’re just fine. If he doesn’t want a relationship, that’s okay too. Drew didn’t mean to imply that, and she tells him sorry to throw his life in turmoil. Geez, he should be used to it by now. She’s sure they have a lot to talk about, but whatever he decides, she asks him not to do it tonight. She owes it to Oscar to tell him the truth first. Drew asks what Oscar is like; he’s met him a few times, and he seems like a good kid. Kim says he’s a great kid, and a fine young man – just like he was. She leaves, and Sam hugs Drew.

Cassandra says she’s all clear, and Finn has made his last note. She’s no longer his patient. Finn says technically, no. She says then there’s no good no reason to decline her invitation to meet tomorrow, and enjoy a conversation and meal. He says, as friends, and she says, what about colleagues? He asks what that’s about, and she thinks there’s a way they can help each other.

Jordan says Andre was married the whole time, but he says it’s not that simple. She says she would have understood, but he didn’t give her a chance. Andre tells her the marriage was dissolved years ago. Her family asked him to end it, so they could be her primary caregivers. He walked away from the woman he loved to give her peace. Jordan asks if he thought she would think less of him, and he says, yes. He had to put it in the past. He’s sorry. He knows he should have been honest, but was afraid of losing the first woman who made him feel like he could love again.

Nelle says she’s not jeopardizing her pregnancy with an invasive procedure. Carly says times have changed. It’s non-invasive now, and can be done as early as ten weeks. Michael says Nelle has no reason to worry or object. I wonder when Nelle would have had the time to be with someone else.

Britt says that Faison threw the manuscript in the fire, and said if she wasn’t going with him, she was on her own. She says she’s answered all of their questions, and asks if Sonny could answer one for her. She wonders how Ben has been. She knows he’s named Rocco now, but he’ll always be Ben to her. Sonny says he’s a good kid, and tells Britt that he had a long list for Santa. She thanks him for telling her, but he says don’t make him regret it. She can’t have contact with him or Spencer. She tells him that she won’t, and asks what now? He says he’s calling Dante, and telling him she’s there. Britt says she can save him the trouble. Give her a ride to the station. She’ll turn herself in.

Nelle says as long as they can guarantee it’s not invasive, go ahead and schedule the test. Michael will see she’s telling the truth. Carly says that will be a first. Nelle knows how they feel about her, but she’s not asking for anything. She tells Michael to sell the apartment. After this, there’s nothing connecting them. If he wants to be a father, she won’t stop him, but if not, it’s on him, but they’ll be fine.

Jordan says Andre should have told her the truth. She wouldn’t be walking around agonizing, thinking the man she once loved is a stranger. She thanks him, and understands. He tells her the whole time they were together, he kept accusing her of pulling away, but how could he expect her to be open when he wasn’t willing to let her see the real him? Here he is; the real him, finally. He hopes getting to know him now, brings her that peace. She says it’s nice to meet him too, and hopes he also gets the peace he needs.

Cassandra says she’ll set something up. Finn is curious as to how they help one another, and asks if she has any hints. She doesn’t want to ruin the surprise, but she might have something for him in her pharmaceutical company. They’ll discuss it, providing his lady friend doesn’t mind. Finn says she’s not part of this, and won’t mind. Cassandra goes into the elevator, and Finn sees Anna. She asks, what is he doing?

Jason believes the traitor kept him alive. Sonny says they don’t know if it’s even a man or a woman. Jason says maybe Drew saw them, since he was taken first. His memory was removed, but Andre took a baseline. Maybe he can give Drew his memories back. Didn’t Andre burn all the research?

Drew tells Sam that he doesn’t know how to proceed. He has a son now. How can they have a relationship after all these years? He doesn’t even know who he is. How can he make up for the years lost? Sam says he can’t, but he can start from here. He asks what about her, and she says nothing has changed. They knew he had a life before, and there might be more surprises. She’s in it for the long haul. If he wants to pursue a relationship with Oscar, she’s all in. They kiss.

Kim finds Oscar and Josslyn. Josslyn says she was just about to go. Kim says there’s something she wants to talk to Oscar about on the way home. He says he wants to talk about something too. Josslyn hugs him, and whispers, good luck. As they walk, Kim says she knows he’s been looking for answers.

Carly tells Michael when test proves Nelle is lying, she’ll be out of their lives for good. Michael asks what if it’s the truth? Carly says she’s lied about everything else. He says there’s a good chance the baby is his. If it is, she’s going to be part of their lives whether they like it or not.

Anna says Finn is doing the exactly what she told him not to. He asks if he’s a Labrador. He doesn’t work for her, and what he does on his own time is his business. She says he’s in over his head. He tells her that argument was nowhere to be found when she wanted him to deceive Cassandra before. He thinks he can play her, and she’ll be none the wiser. He cares as much as Anna does, and he’s moving forward, with or without her approval. She threatens to arrest him, and he tells her to go ahead. She just looks at him, and he says he didn’t think so. When he leaves, she says, okay, fine. Two can play at this game.

Tomorrow, Britt is glad to see someone, Laura takes on a new challenge, and Cassandra and Finn make a toast.

Vanderpump Rules

Lala looks good in the credits. There’s something a lot less harsh-looking about her.

Back at Scheana’s masquerade party, Schwartz says his instinct is to defend Jax. Brittany tells Jax if it’s true, she’s moving out, taking the dogs, and he can go to effing hell. Lisa approaches Faith, who swears Jax told her that he and Brittany were done. Seriously? She didn’t double-check that? Where was Brittany? In the bathroom? Lisa tells Brittany she doesn’t know what to believe. In her interview, Lisa never believes anything starting with I heard, but when it comes to Jax, it’s true. Jax says he’s blindsided. In his interview, he doesn’t understand, claiming he’s been faithful. Brittany is embarrassed, but Kristen and Scheana say she has nothing to be embarrassed about, and she’s the best thing that’s happened to all of them. Kristen tells Brittany that Jax is lucky she didn’t shove her stiletto down his throat and up his ass. Alrighty then. I hope she’s on my side in a fight. Inside, Jax calls for shots. Tom tells Scheana they don’t know for sure, and Jax says he’s not going to chase her down the street. Scheana says he should; her heart is broken, and he doesn’t deserve her.

James tells them that Faith missed her period. In his interview, Jax says this kind of sh*t ruins people’s lives. Like he didn’t have anything to do with it. Brittany thought he was changing for her, but if this is true, she’s punching him in his fake nose.

At Villa Rosa, Fadi the car broker brings Lisa a new offering from Ken. She tells us that she doesn’t like to be brattish in saying outright that she wants something, but is very good at hinting. Stassi drops by, and admires the car. In her interview, she says if being good at sex means a Rolls Royce, she must not be good, and needs to step it up.

Lisa asks what’s going on. She heard Stassi is interested in event planning. Stassi says she loves styling, decorating, and throwing parties, and event planning is like styling an atmosphere. If she’s going to learn from anyone, it’s Lisa. She wants to see if she’s cut out for this. Lisa says she’s extraordinarily bright, but a pita, and we flash back to Stassi being just that. Lisa thinks she definitely has a sense of style, something that can’t be taught; it has to be inherent. She asks Stassi to organize part of the restaurant for a party on Saturday. Stassi mentions that she’s gotten back together with Patrick. Lisa asks why not Jax? They discuss the situation with Brittany. Stassi says Jax is lucky she wasn’t at the party. She’s always wanted to impale someone, and put their head on a spike in her apartment. Lisa doesn’t get what the attraction is, and Stassi says Jax tells women what they want to hear. Lisa says he did the same thing to her, and Stassi says it’s a weird time to think about.

Brittany says too many people know about it and she has to tell her mom. Katie says she’s the last person who deserves this. She doesn’t know why he does this when he has perfect girl. She thinks he has a serious problem. She talks about the problems they’ve had, and how she found fake eyelashes on the counter. She wonders what’s wrong with her, and Katie tells Brittany that it wouldn’t matter; he would do this to anyone. Brittany says she’s going to Vegas. She’s single and is going to act like it.

Jax sticks his head in the room, but Brittany doesn’t want to look at him. He insists he didn’t do anything. and says someone is trying to sabotage him. He shows Brittany some texts, which don’t make things any better, and probably make them worse. She throws the phone at him, and says she hates him. He doesn’t deserve her. She moved, and left her family for him. She’s done. She hates him. Brittany cries on Katie’s shoulder, and Jax leaves.

James and Raquel go to PUMP. Lisa has funny sense of déjà vu, seeing Raquel’s super short short-shorts. We flash back to Brittany wearing similar ones when she had her job interview. James says the party was fun, but Lisa doesn’t quite agree. He says Raquel is interested in working at Vanderpump Pets. Harrison! Lisa asks what she does as a job, and Raquel says she’s a model and goes to school for kinesiology (it’s strange and complicated – google it). Lisa says it would probably be better if she volunteered. The volunteers do the brushing, walking, and cleaning up. In her interview, Lisa says Raquel is going to be on her knees with a scooper. She sarcastically tells Raquel to wear shorter shorts, and Raquel promises to dress appropriately for work.

James asks if he could take over SUR one night. Lisa says she thought the meeting wasn’t about him, and he says he thought he’d kill two birds with one stone, since she’s so busy. In his interview, James says he misses working for Lisa. In her interview, Lisa calls him a pita, but says she thought he’d come back, and hopefully be more mature. She might give it a try, but she’s not going to make it easy. He’s going to have to start at the bottom and work up. She gives him a maybe for Tuesdays.

It’s Ariana’s brother Jeremy’s birthday. Schwartz says it’s second party Katie wasn’t invited to that he’s attended in less than twelve hours. Ariana says Schwartz is schwasted. He never stopped drinking since he started at Scheana’s party, and at a certain point, it’s not cute. Tom gives Jeremy their house keys. In his interview, he says last time Jeremy interrupted their sex life, but they’re going through a dry spell now, and he might as well join the priesthood. James can’t believe Faith didn’t come.

Brit goes home, and talks to the dogs, but not Jax. He tries to talk to her, and she tells him to go away, then asks if he had her in their bed. He says no one has been there, and she calls him a liar. He can keep denying all he wants; he just looks like an idiot. She says to tell her the truth, and he says it is true. She tells him to rot in hell, and I’m totally on board with that. She talks about another time in their relationship when she went through months of denial. She asks why do that, and he says it was a bad time. Brittany says that when you love someone, you don’t do that. She didn’t do that to him, and would never do that to him. In her interview, he says they’ve been fighting for a long time, and we flash back to him being an a-hole in Kentucky. She hopes it was worth it. Wow. This is making me sad. Even though I can’t stand him, I feel badly for her. Brittany cries, as she holds one of the dogs. Seriously. She’s breaking my heart.

Pride Day is tomorrow, and Tom thinks it’s important that they go. He wants to surprise Lisa. He wants to do whatever it takes to keep the partnership alive. He says Jax has had a rough 24-hours. Oh, poor baby. Schwartz mumbles about Stockholm Syndrome. Ariana says Brittany deserves the world, or at least her boyfriend not screwing her friends. James tells them about Faith not getting her period. Tom wonders when Jax will stop pulling this sh*t.

Schwartz talks to Jax on the phone. Tom hunts him down. He tells Schwartz that he’s mad at Jax, and Schwartz starts crying, saying he’s been struggling. Tom says talk to him. Schwartz says, first of all, he’s drunk – ha-ha! Yeah, drunk and weepy. It’s the first time in his life he has no drive. Tom says Schwartz is his friend, and he’d never let anything happen to him. In his interview, Schwartz says he has all these new pressures, like being a husband. He tells Tom that he’s always anticipating a bad future. Tom says they’ll open up the bar,and it will be amazing. Schwartz is an awesome person, and it’s a privilege to know him. Schwartz says it goes both ways, and I lmao because they are both so drunk, and in that teary, sappy phase. In his interview, Schwartz hopes Lisa forgives Tom. Schwartz needs structure and stability to move on to the next chapter.

Brittany calls her mother, and says she needs her. She tells her mom about Jax, and that she’s going to Vegas. She slams the picture of them from her nightstand onto the floor. She says she should have known better, and just needed to tell her. Brittany’s mom says she loves her, and tells her to call back later. Brittany leaves for Vegas. In her interview, Brittany says she seriously thought she was going to marry Jax. She wanted it bad, and the thought of him cheating makes her want to cry. She tells us that you don’t treat someone like this if you love them, and he obviously doesn’t. Jax watches as she gets in a car. What an a-hole this guy is. I hope he dies alone.

It’s the Long Beach Gay Pride parade, and no surprise, Lisa is Grand Marshal. I don’t even think there can be a parade without LVP. Ken does the driving, and Lisa says she feels a lot of love. Everyone is being themselves, and that should be what life is about. Simply, and well put, and I agree. She sees Tom and Ariana, and asks where Schwartz is. He’s in the bathroom. Lisa makes a speech, but we don’t get to hear it. Ken asks about Jax, and Tom says he’s a mess. When he saw him last, he was in the fetal position on the couch. Tom says he loves Brittany, and Lisa says don’t defend him; he’ll look ridiculous. Tom says at least Jax admitted it. In her interview, Lisa says she’s not enamored of Jax’s eff-ups, and hopes Brittany dumps him. We visit the leather tent. In his interview, Tom says he really doesn’t understand BDS&M, but since they’re going through a dry spell, maybe there’s something to it. He asks Ariana if she thinks it might solve some of their issues, and she discusses exploring it with some dude who I guess is an expert. In her interview, Ariana tells us about some of the problems she and Tom are having, including him wanting to go to karaoke six nights a week, which I find nothing wrong with.

Ariana says when she lived in NYC, Pride Day always fell on her birthday. Lisa asks about Brittany, and Ariana tells her that Brittany is in Vegas. She’s disgusted, and wants to move on. Tom babbles about Jax loving her, and how he can’t help himself. Lisa says Jax has a different definition of love. Don’t tell her, show her. Yep. Take note, mostly men. Tom apologizes about criticizing her part in the restaurant. He says he just wants to get the bullsh*t out of the way. Lisa says show her. In her interview, she says she doesn’t need their expertise or their money. She doesn’t need anything from them, but the feel good factor.

Kristen visits Stassi, and asks if she’s excited for tonight. Stassi says when she started feeling romantic again, she felt like people would judge her for going back to Patrick. Kristen thinks she and Patrick get each other, and wants to start planning the wedding; she loves them together. Patrick comes in. He’s wearing a man bun, which immediately makes me cringe, since Josh from Sweet Home Oklahoma is the only man I’ll accept wearing one. Stassi says she missed their joking and laughing – and his man bun. She says he’s like a warrior; like someone from out of Game of Thrones. Double no, just no.

Brittany goes to work. Ariana says she looks tan and gorgeous. Brittany says Vegas was awesome. Ariana asks how she’s been, but she doesn’t know. She has different feelings. Sometimes she’s sad, sometimes she’s mad, and she’s heartbroken. She said she was going to act single, but everybody grossed her out. Scheana says it’s been six months, and she’s not ready yet, but acts like she is. Brittany says she just wants to be alone, and clear her mind. Everyone is supportive.

In the limo, Patrick says he’s trying to keep everyone happy, and Stassi says she’s trying to keep him happy. He tells her the outfit is helping. She’s wearing a slinky, strapless, low-cut black jumpsuit that looks fantastic on her. They go to a restaurant, and when they order, I almost find it cute that they say the same thing at the same time. Almost. Stassi tells Patrick about talking to Lisa regarding event planning. He asks if she has ideas, and she says she’s watched a million YouTube videos. She says listening to his podcast makes her insecure about hers. She wants him to hear hers, and tell her what she’s doing wrong. He says somehow hers got turned into a juggernaut, then has to explain that word, along with a couple of others he uses. In her interview, Stassi says she’s never been in a dating situation where she wasn’t the smart one.

Patrick tells her that she’s a really good person, batsh*t crazy, and uber talented. He’s taking a trip to Amsterdam, and says it will be a good experience for him. Getting back together taught them a lesson: don’t talk when you’re apart, and when you’re back together, don’t talk about what happened when you were apart. In her interview, Stassi says she wants it to work, but she’s terrified it’s not going to because she wants it so badly. She thinks getting back together is more of an emotional commitment than first time they got together. Patrick says she’s freaking him out. In her interview, Stassi says she’s willing to fight for the relationship.

Jax arrives at SUR for his shift, and asks Tom how Pride was. Tom says he got handcuffed and whipped. He kind of likes it, so Ariana got one. Brittany comes to the bar, and asks Tom for a cocktail, sort of ignoring Jax. Saying nothing, but shooting daggers with her eyes. Jax wants to talk, but not at work. Tom says it’s not a good idea.

Brittany steps away, and Lisa asks how she is. Brittany says it’s a weird situation. She doesn’t know what she’s doing. Lisa tells her that she’s young; sh*t happens

Tom tells Jax it’s not easy all the time. Jax wants to work on it, but says he needs therapy. Tom suggests he make up an overnight bag, get his sh*t together, and get out of the apartment.

Lisa tells Brittany that she has a lot of support. Jax is the only a-hole in the situation. She hopes Brittany has the strength to make the right choices. She tells Brittany that she’ll be fine. The girls rally around her.  hopes trangth to make right chocies tells her she’ll be fine the girls rally around her

Jax says there’s no one better to tell him how to run a relationship. Tom says he put himself in the situation, and now everyone is pissed at him, including him. Brittany’s emotions are like a roller coaster, and she needs time to think. Tom tells him to give her some space. Jax doesn’t think she really wants to leave him, but Tom begs to differ.

Brittany tells the girls that she did something stupid in a moment of weakness. They had sex. I go, arrrgh! out loud. Brittany says she wanted affection. In her interview, she wishes she could stop loving him; it would be easier for her, but she can’t, and she doesn’t know what she’s doing.

Next time, Schwartz apologizes to Lisa and Ken, Stassi throws a party with a Jax piñata, and Lala is back.

😱 A horrifying postscript – Brittany and Jax are back together. He was a guest on Watch What Happens Live tonight. He said he’s “a work in progress.” I’m surprised he didn’t get rotten tomatoes thrown at him.

😊 On the other hand. RelationShep is very sweet. I think Shep is good-hearted, and maybe realizes he doesn’t want to grow old alone. It’s fun watching him travel around too. I especially loved seeing Austin, a place I’d love to visit. In the next phase, several of the girls he’s had dates with will come to Charleston, where they’ll live in the same house, much like The Bachelor. It looks like there will be some drama, but I think Shep deserves to find what he’s looking for. He also gave a couple of good quotes…

I like very pretty brunettes. I guess everybody does. That was a stupid comment.Shep Rose, RelationShep

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Ned apologizes for making Alexis come over and being insensitive. She says they all need to process everything. She opens the door and Julian is standing there. He says he’s not stalking her or trespassing. He’s there to see Olivia-Q. Olivia asks what he wants, and he says, his son.

Carly is making out cards, and tells Sonny they have lots of people to catch up with. Sonny asks if he can’t have one day without conspiracies, mysteries, bad guys, or stationery. A day to enjoy his wife, his kids, and Christmas.

Jordan asks Curtis if he’s ready to do this. He wonders how this became his job, and she says there’s no one else she trusts. He’s dressed like Santa, and does a ho-ho-ho.

Michael takes Rocco to see Santa. Nelle comes out dressed as an elf. She says she’s Santa’s helper, and anyone who wants to see him has to go through her.

Lulu tells Maxie that Operation Sweet Smell of Defeat is a go, and they’ll be out of the hazmat suits soon. They just have to wear them long enough to get in, get the scoop, and get out. Maxie says she feels like she’s been wearing it long enough for corsets to make a comeback. She tells Lulu no offense, but Sam is probably focused on which Jason she’s going to be with, and not finding a place for Lulu in the company.

At the station, Dante questions the credential of the Naval lawyer, who tells him the warrant stands for itself. In the interrogation room, Sam tells Drew that they’re arguing the letter of the law with the lawyer, but it’s just a stall. If they don’t come up with something, he’s going to be court marshaled. Drew says, for leaving a life he didn’t know he had.

Olivia asks if Julian has been released, and Alexis says it’s conditional, and he’s getting a new trial. Ned is sure he’ll be guilty again. Julian hears Leo on the monitor. Ned tells him not to do anything stupid, and goes upstairs. Olivia says if he does, Diane will have him back in Pentonville. She has sole custody since he was convicted, and he has no right to be near her son.

On the phone, The Intruder dude says he has photos, texts, and an adult Teddy Ruxpin costume. Lulu and Maxie knock on the door, telling him he has to evacuate since ammonium sulfide has gotten into the air. They push him out of the office. Lulu says they have to work fast, before he figures out that’s the chemical name for stink bomb. She starts to go through the files.

Michael tells Rocco that every CEO counts on their employees, and the elves are Santa’s eyes and ears. Rocco goes to get hot chocolate, and Michael says he sees Nelle is putting her professional experience with kids to good use. She tells him she can’t be picky, and he says she’ll land on her feet. She says she always does, no matter who tries to keep her down.

Sonny kisses Carly. He suggests they bundle up Avery, and get some holiday cheer. She’s all for a drama-free day, but doesn’t think it can be delivered. He says everything is good, and it’s all settled. She tells him nothing is settled.

Drew tells Sam that he didn’t see this coming. Sam says he’s not a deserter. He was kidnapped by a most wanted criminal. He says a lot of what he did was classified. He doesn’t know where he was sent or what he did, but he sure the Navy doesn’t want him sharing it. Sam says they’re looking at him as a traitor, and he tells her that they’ll transport him to a secure location, and debrief him. This might be a problem, since he doesn’t remember what he’s supposed to know or who he told.

Olivia asks Alexis to tell Julian to scram. She says he’s got grown kids to visit, and asks if they slammed the door in his face. They want nothing to do with him, and neither does Leo. Leo doesn’t remember him, and he’s nothing to Leo. Julian hears Leo call Ned “daddy” on the monitor. Olivia says he’s a non-entity in Leo’s life. Why doesn’t he do what’s best for everyone, and stay far away? Alexis says she’ll give him some free advice. His mere presence there jeopardizes his chance of acquittal, not to mention any chance of release. He says it’s not that simple, and she says it is for her.

Carly tells Sonny that Drew is determined to keep everything that belongs to Jason, and Jason won’t fight. He tells her to give everyone a minute. Maybe he’ll see that they weren’t siding against him. Their friend came back, and they’re honoring that friendship, but they’re still his friend too. Carly says he feels like they betrayed him. She doesn’t know how to fix that, and show him they’re still friends. Sonny says Drew can’t figure out who they are to him, until he figures out who he is.

Dante tells the Naval lawyer that Drew is part of an ongoing case, but the lawyer says he has to bring him back for dereliction of duty. I guess they never bothered looking for him? Sam tells Drew that the most important thing is to keep him in Port Charles. The Navy could take him anywhere, and not disclose it. They have to stop it before it starts. He tells her that whatever happens, and no matter how long it takes, he’ll find his way back to her. She says she’s counting on that. The Navy guys come in

Jordan tells Curtis that he’s got to go in alone; the Navy is taking his friend away. He wants to go with her, but she tells him to stay and entertain the kids. There’s nothing he can do right now. She’s going to protect her turf. She says if any brazen elves get within mistletoe distance, they’ll have to answer to her.

Michael asks Nelle how the apartment is, and she says it feels a little big without him. He suggests putting up a temporary wall, and getting a roommate to save on rent, but she doesn’t think it’s come to that yet.

Maxie asks if Lulu is sure the bomb isn’t toxic, and she says only smelly. Maxie holds her nose, and Lulu tells her to use both hands to look. Maxie says it’s taking too long. Lulu asks if she’s resigned to not knowing who tipped the intruder off. Maxie says if it means saving her hair from smelling like a cesspool, yes. Babies are expensive. She can’t afford using a paycheck to fix her hair. Lulu says she’s a genius. Look for paystubs or a checkbook. The article quoted an anonymous source; they can see how the source was paid. Lulu goes through a folder and finds something. She tells Maxie it even says Ask Man Landers tip. It’s a check for $10K made out to Nelle Benson.

Lulu wonders why Nelle would sell them out. Maxie says the answer is in the dollar signs. It takes two hands to count how many jobs Nelle has been fired from, and Crimson was the last one. It’s probably how she found out. Lulu says she has an exposé to write, and Maxie has some choice words for Nelle. They’re met at the door by The Intruder dude and two other men.

Maxie and Lulu sit in a jail cell. Nathan asks what they were thinking, and Dante asks why they smell so bad.

Michael tells Nelle that he’s flexible if she has a problem with the rent. She says they’re in an awkward place right now, but she has the feeling they’ll make things work, and be in each other’s lives for a long time. Sonny and Carly show up with Avery. Rocco comes back, and Michael says he’s not used to Sonny being called grandpa. Carly says better him than her, and Nelle tells her she’s very suited to the title. Ouch. Curtis comes out as Santa, doing his ho-ho-ho thing. Nelle is left with Carly. Nelle says she loves this time of year, so much possibility. She doesn’t get depressed, since her luck can change at any moment. Carly says as long as it has nothing to do with Michael, and Nelle says that’s up to him. Carly tells her not to mistake his cheer; he’s seen the real her. Nelle looks forward to resetting her expectations, and Carly asks what that’s supposed to mean.

Olivia tells Julian to go before it gets ugly. He says if he leaves, he’s abandoning Leo, and if he stays, the cops will drag him out. He tells her it’s not cut and dried. Look how it almost turned out with Dante. One day Leo will come to him, and he’ll tell him the truth. Ned comes down with Leo, and Julian says he’s leaving. Olivia tells him they’re going to the park to see Santa, and to meet them there.

Sam tells the Naval lawyer that he’s making a mistake. Drew did nothing wrong; he was kidnapped. Drew tells her it’s okay, and to take care of the kids and herself. Alexis walks in, and tells them to uncuff Drew. The lawyer asks who she is, and she says the woman in charge of taking them down, and he’s her client.

Maxie tells Nathan and Dante not to look at her; it was Lulu’s idea. Lulu says they had to buy uninterrupted time, and couldn’t break in, since that’s illegal. Dante is like, so you chose noxious fumes instead? She tells him it was harmless, and he says to tell that to Homeland Security. She says they did this for Nathan. Maxie says they know who almost got them busted for fraud – Nelle.

Nelle goes to do her elf thing, and Sonny joins Carly. Carly wonders what Nelle knows that would turn her world upside down, but Sonny says it’s not the right time. Avery wants picture with Santa. I have to mention that there’s been a jump in all these children’s ages.

The Naval lawyer tells Alexis it won’t help the circumstances in the long run. Alexis says it’s due process. They have a warrant for Andrew Kane, but they’ve yet to see physical evidence that contradicts he’s not Jason. She shows them the folder, and says Andrew doesn’t even look like him. The lawyer says they’ve been apprised of the twin theory, but Alexis says his legal name is Jason Morgan. The lawyer snarks that he probably changed his face so he could enjoy his new life. Yeah, he’s been having a real ball. Sam says he was in a terrible accident. Jordan arrives, and isn’t willing to have him removed from her jurisdiction. He’s connected with a WSB most wanted criminal, and is their only lead to the whereabouts of Faison. I get excited all over again.

Michael welcomes everyone to Christmas in the Park. He thanks the parks department, and Ned thanks the sponsors, saying they’ve donated $50K to underprivileged children. Sonny sees Julian, and tells Carly they were supposed to come here to get away from trouble. He asks what Julian is doing there. Olivia tells him it’s a conditional release. His sister’s confession that she extorted him got him another trial. Sonny tells Julian to be careful on the icy roads; accidents happen. I wonder if Sonny has the power to make ice on the roads, since it’s in the 50s. They take the kids’ photos with Santa, and Olivia is obviously not happy in the photo with Julian. She suggests they take an extended family photo. Nelle takes the picture, and Julian pops his head in between Ned and Olivia. It’s actually a pretty funny scene. I like when they take pictures.

Jordan has a judge’s order and can’t relinquish custody. The Naval lawyer says for a half hour; he’ll have a word with the judge, and Drew better be there when he gets back. Sam tells Alexis she’s amazing, but Alexis says hold her applause. They have less time for a save than a pizza delivery.

Lulu tells Dante and Nathan they found a five-figure check made out to Nelle. Dante hopes she didn’t take the stub, and she says she says of course not. She took a picture; they’re not thieves. Nathan tells them they’re free to go. He only had to promise to take Maxie to Cabo. Maxie asks Nathan if he’s really mad. He says no, and she says that she’ll see him at home. He tells her to shower first.

Michael says Lulu was supposed to pick up Rocco, but Olivia says he can come home with them. Julian tells Ned to get used to him being around. He intends to be a presence in his son’s life. Leo is going to call him “dad.”

Michael thanks Curtis for taking the hit, and he says it’s his pleasure. Curtis tells Nelle that she did a good job wrangling the kids. He leaves, and Michael says he can take it from there. Nelle says it’s not his job. He says it’s his event, and she admits she could use a break. He says that’s what are friends for.

Back at home, Olivia tells Ned that Santa wore the kids out. Ned asks if Leo wondered about the strange man who crashed his visit with Santa. Olivia asks how mad he is, and he says he’s not mad; he’s perplexed. Julian has minimal legal standing, he’s on conditional release, and wearing an ankle monitor. It would have been a win to have him arrested. Olivia says she’s a coward. Ned says she is not. She’s fearless, strong, and gutsy; she even stood up to Monica. She says she’s a coward when comes to her kids. She can’t stand the thought that they might not love her. If Dante had been a different kind of person, it would have been a tragedy. She lied his entire life. Because of it, he went undercover, gathering information on a man he didn’t know was his father, and Sonny shot a man he didn’t know was his son. That Dante survived was a miracle, and an even bigger one was that he forgave her. She has to do better with Leo. She can’t pretend Julian doesn’t exist. Ned says it sounds like a plan to him. She asks what happens when grows up, and wants to know his father? He’ll look for Julian, and will find him. How does he think Julian will handle it? He’ll whine about how much he wanted to be father, and how Olivia kept him from it. He’ll make it Leo’s job to love and save him, and she’s not letting that happen. Ned asks what the alternative is, and she says minimal contact. Ideally, he’ll be in prison, but it’s better for Leo to know the truth than have an idealized picture. Ned says she’s not only fearless and beautiful, but incredibly wise. She says she’s lucky she married him. They kiss.

Maxie and Lulu arrive at the park, and Maxie says it looks like it’s all over. Lulu can’t believe she missed it. She gets text from Olivia saying Leo is with her. Maxie says what a shame; let’s go to the spa not. She can’t think, and needs her wits to go to battle with Nelle. She says, speaking of the skank…

Curtis hunts down Jordan at the station, and she explains she was called in to deal with Drew. He wonders why Maxie and Lulu were hauled in, and what is that smell?

Carly tells Sonny so much for a Christmas outing. He says next time he has a bright idea, remind him of today’s events. She wants to finish her cards, and says she just has Sam and Drew left. Sonny asks her to let him write that one.

Nathan puts Drew in a cell, saying, sorry. Drew tells him there’s something he can do. If Alexis can’t pull this off, and get the Navy to back off, Sam and the kids will need looking after. Others might come looking for him. He knows Curtis will step up, but he’ll need more than one man. He can’t trust Sonny anymore, and Jason will just bring more danger.

Sam asks Alexis how Drew’s chances are. She says Andre is their best shot. She might be able to get the warrant tossed. But if they have nothing more than his word, they need more ammunition and time, and she doesn’t know who can give it to them. Sam says she does.

Tomorrow, Lulu confronts Nelle, Drew confronts Andre, and Sam asks for help from Jason.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey

Interior decorator Joyce drops by Margaret’s house. She needs the living room done asap. She shows Joyce around. She thinks Joe #3 is crossing over into the style lane, when he’s supposed to stay in the execution lane. She has to go to Italy, and hopes it can be done in a couple of weeks She tells Joe they’ll fight about it after she comes back.

Melissa and Joe #2 make salad. He misses his mom. Melissa feels like no matter how much time passes, he’ll miss her; it’s just the way it is. He’s talked to a medium, because he wants to know that his mom is okay. In his interview, he says he was raised old school, but is hoping the medium will “connect” him. Melissa tells him about Dolores and Siggy going to Kim D.’s store, and how she said Teresa is fanning an old flame. She says there was a time when Teresa was supportive of Kim, but sees the truth now.

Margaret tells Joe #3 the Kim D. story, and about how Teresa went gangster style over it. She says tonight they’re confronting Kim at the fashion show. Joe is a little concerned, but she says she can outrun anybody in her heels.

Dolores and Siggy show up to get their makeup and hair done before the show. Kim D.’s eyes shoot flames. She asks how it’s going, and Siggy tells her about the dinner and how they’d repeated what she said. Kim asks what the reaction was, and Dolores says Teresa threw a wineglass and everyone hates Kim now. Some chick demonstrates how the guy was hugging Teresa in the club, and it’s pretty ambiguous. Dolores and Siggy aren’t impressed either. Kim says she heard Teresa is done with Joe #1 anyway. In her interview, Siggy isn’t cool with Kim messing with Teresa’s marriage. Dolores doesn’t believe Teresa is cheating, and Sylvia Miles Kim says, welcome to the Posche fundraiser. Toodle-oo! Idiot.

Teresa arrives at Melissa’s. Melissa asks if she’s ready for this, and she says no. She wonders why Kim D. wants to start rumor, and Melissa says because she’s an a-hole. I’d say that about sums it up. Teresa can’t wait to confront Kim. She doesn’t care about herself, but her kids. Melissa says Kim goes deep and hard.

Danielle goes to Margaret’s house to wait for the others. She tells Margaret the last time she went to the Posche fashion show, she got chased from the event, and had her hair pulled out. Margaret says they go in, accomplish what they have to do, and never see her again.

Melissa tells Teresa to be careful. Teresa says Kim knows how to push her buttons. In her interview, Melissa doesn’t think Teresa should put herself in this kind of position. If she gets in trouble, she’ll have to “go away” again. Italian for being thrown in the pokey. Teresa says something happens at every fashion show, but if anyone puts their hands on her, she’ll walk away. In her interview, Teresa says she used to like Kim, but she came after both her and Melissa.

They pick up Danielle and Margaret. Danielle says they’re going to a real Italian shake down now. The ladies arrive at the venue, and Teresa says it’s time to call that bitch out. Melissa is nervous. She says you don’t have to be genius to know this isn’t going to end well. They hit the bar and head downstairs. As Melissa walks down the steps, she says it feels like she’s walking into the lion’s den.

Teresa goes in first, and the others follow. There’s a long pause of silence, and Kim welcomes them and asks how they are. In her interview, Dolores says she’s lived in this part of the zoo a long time, and Teresa is not coming in peace. Kim asks if this is going to be one-on-one or are they all talking to her? Teresa asks if they’re scaring her, and Kim says she can “take youse all on.” Teresa says no one is going to talk about her husband or her, and Kim tells her, too bad. Teresa asks if she saw him screwing another girl, and Kim says, no. Kim calls them all dirty bitches, and says her girls have seen Teresa going to clubs. Melissa says Kim is the queen of going out, and Teresa can do what she wants. Who gives a flying; it’s her business. In her interview, Melissa says Kim just admitted her whole basis for destroying Teresa’s marriage is that someone saw her at a club. She can’t believe Dolores and Siggy. Teresa wants to straighten Kim out, and calls her trash. Kim says she’s the one who went to jail, and if Teresa touches her, she’s leaving in handcuffs. Margaret says don’t even speak her. Kim says she hasn’t seen Danielle since Teresa chased her from the first fashion show. In her interview, Danielle says she knows what Kim is capable of, and knows what Teresa is capable of, and she’s glad she’s on Teresa’s side of the fence. Teresa tells Kim that Posche stands for piece of sh*t crazy homewrecker every day (or something like that), and says she doesn’t want to go there. As Kim walks out with her entourage, Teresa says she’d love to grab her by the back of her hair. Me too. Kim says touch her, and Teresa is done. Teresa invites Kim to come at her, and Kim calls them animals.

In her interview, Teresa says she set Kim straight, and whatever her and Joe #1 go through is nobody’s business. We flash back to Joe being stupid, and Teresa says you don’t know what’s really going on unless you’re living together. Kim wants them out. Melissa says she’s disgusting. She can’t believe Dolores and Siggy are walking in the show. Dolores gets a few inches from Melissa’s face, and says, don’t tell her what to do. Melissa asks why Dolores is getting in her face; they’re supposed to be friends. Dolores screeches that it’s for charity. Teresa calls them Kim D.’s puppets, and Dolores says they’re acting like ladies at a fundraiser. In her interview, Dolores is dumbfounded by Teresa’s behavior, saying there’s a time and place for everything, but it’s not here at a charity event. She says she’s a grown woman, makes her own enemies and fights her own battles. She doesn’t need to get involved.

The show starts. Kim explains the fundraiser is for families who lost someone in a tragedy. Siggy dabs at her eyes, and Dolores tells her, let’s go, probably wanting to circumvent the waterworks. Siggy says no kind of rumor or drama will get in her way of doing acts of kindness. She’s thinking of how much money they can raise for the families. Don’t try to stop her. Zzzzz…

The girls gather at Margaret’s house, and she gets them cocktails. Melissa says it was a real sh*tshow. Teresa is glad she went. No one is going to talk about her family, and get away with it. Kim doesn’t scare her, and if she’s going to blatantly lie, Teresa is going to deal with her. Margaret thinks Kim was scared, and won’t say anything else. I wouldn’t bet on that. She wants to be on this show badly, and it’s her only connection. They agree that Siggy and Dolores aren’t supportive, and Margaret tells Teresa their silence says a lot. Melissa can’t believe they just made plans to go to Milan. Teresa isn’t sure she wants to go with them. In her interview, Teresa says it seems to be a pattern with Dolores. We flash back to her being unsympathetic. Teresa asks how many chances does she give Dolores before she sees Dolores isn’t there for her? She thanks everyone and says she’s torn about Siggy and Dolores. They’ll have to come to her.

Margaret goes to the office in rollers, and tells the fashion show story. Marge Sr. thinks it’s ridiculous. Margaret has finally set up her mom with Steve, her accountant. Marge hasn’t had serious boyfriend in years. She was like a wild divorcé in hot pants. She makes an appointment for her mom to get her hair done at the house, so she’ll look glamorous.

Frank and Dolores go out for pizza. Dolores thinks son Frankie needs to see life beyond his girlfriend. In her interview, she asks how a kid in high school is supposed to have relationship? It’s an anchor. She tells Frank that their son should have no distractions. Siggy joins them. She tells Frank about how Kim gossiped that someone saw Teresa getting cozy with a man at a club. She says things got ugly at the fashion show, and she called Teresa a criminal. Frank asks what did they do? and they tell him they did nothing. He asks if they stayed walking in the show. He’s looking at it from Teresa’s point of view, and what message was shown. They should have let Teresa know they had her back. Dolores says in hindsight, maybe they should have gone. Siggy says it makes sense. She thinks as her friends, they have to let Teresa know that they have her back 100%. These two are either stupid or insane.

Melissa and Joe #2 wait for the medium. Melissa says she doesn’t do this sort of thing. Joe #2 asks if she’s afraid of ghosts, and yes, she is. Teresa arrives, and they have some vodka. Joe asks if she’s ready. In her interview, Teresa says mediums aren’t her thing, but she’s there to support her brother. She’s not ready for all this. Medium Concetta enters. Melissa offers her a drink, but she says she never mixes alcohol with dead people. Good to know.

Concetta tells them ask questions. She’s simple girl who’s talked to dead people her whole life. She tells Teresa that her mother is next to her, and has been. She says that one of her children is sensitive to the other side. We flash back to Milania talking about seeing her nonna cooking. Concetta tells her not to discount it. She says their mother is home and at peace. She had a wonderful life, and hears herself being adored. Teresa says she still needed her, and Concetta says she hears the support and love. She tells Joe that she hears music playing. It’s Momma, sung by Connie Francis in Italian, and Joe says he danced to that song with his mother at his wedding. Concetta tells him that his mother had a hard time walking, but now she can run. In her interview, Melissa tells us that when Joe visited his mother in the hospital, he would whisper, go, run now, mom. Concetta knows things that she wouldn’t know unless she was really talking to her. Concetta tells them that she’s worried about their dad. He’s missing her terribly, and secretly talking to her, wishing he could join her. She wants him to know, don’t be in a hurry. Someday, they’ll be together again. Teresa believes Concetta is really talking to her mom, but it still hurts. She wants her to be there to hug, and it’s so painful. A sad, but uplifting and interesting scene.

The hair person arrives at Margaret’s. She asks if Marge has a safe word in case the date isn’t going well. Marge says she’ll pull her earring. Margaret wants her to be happy and have a companion. If it’s not Steve, she’ll find someone with one foot on a banana peel and a big will.

Siggy visits Teresa. She says sorry about yesterday, and Teresa says, her too. Siggy says it got heated, and Teresa asks if Siggy sees what she’s been talking about. What Kim said was out of line. Siggy agrees, and Teresa says if the roles were reversed, she would never support that person. what said out of line Siggy tells Teresa that she defended her in the store, and told Kim it was disgusting and below the belt. Teresa says after she heard it, why not just give her donation and leave? Siggy says they were there for the charity event. She didn’t care about Kim; she didn’t want to disappoint the families. Teresa gets it, and is fine with it. I’m not. Even if they’re considered minor celebrities, and people were there to see them walk, why didn’t either one of them put it like that before? I’d probably leave, but announce why first. Teresa says she never thought Kim would go against her, and it could happen to Siggy or Dolores. Siggy tells Teresa that they’re her friends. She can’t talk with Margaret, and Danielle is up Teresa’s ass. Teresa thought everything was good with Siggy and Margaret. She says it was until Margaret referenced Hitler at the dinner. We flash back, and I wonder if Siggy actually heard and/or understood what Margaret was saying, since it was an appropriate example. She thinks Margaret is missing a sensitivity chip. She doesn’t hate her, but she’s over it. Teresa appreciates her coming, but wonders where it leaves them. Siggy doesn’t know what’s going down, but wants to go to Milan. She won’t go without Dolores though, because we’re twelve. Teresa doesn’t mind Dolores going, but doesn’t know about Melissa; she’s the one who asked them to come. Siggy says if it works out, great, but if not, she wants Teresa to know she loves her.

Margaret and Joe #3 double-date with Steve and Marge Sr. Margaret tells Steve to watch Marge, she can be handsy after a few drinks. Margaret asks Steve what kind of woman he’s looking for, and Joe says, breathing. Steve admires Marge’s tattoo. She’s been thinking about one no one would see unless she’s naked. He asks if she’ll be getting it by their third date. Ha-ha! In her interview, Margaret says it’s going better than she planned. She asks about Steve’s five-year plan, and he says he eventually wants to settle down. Margaret says he doesn’t want to grow old alone; no one does. In her interview, Margaret says, move over, Siggy. She’s not the only matchmaker. Steve asks if they can have another date without them next time. Margaret says he’s approved.

Teresa calls Melissa, and tells her about Siggy’s visit, and how she didn’t want to let the families down. Melissa understands. Teresa says they were talking about Italy, and Siggy won’t go without Dolores. Melissa says she’s not taking the invitation back, but she’s always felt like Dolores is an older sister, and she got in her face. She should have gotten crazy on Kim, if she was in the mood to get crazy. The bottom line is that she doesn’t want to deal with anybody’s sh*t when they’re in Italy. She’s done with Dolores if she disrespects her like that again. Dolores is on her sh*t list.

Next time, a lively trip to Milan, a heated dinner, and Danielle throwing things.

💫 I was only half-paying attention to Star, but saw the important stuff. Like Queen Latifah in a gorgeous shoulder-length deep magenta wig. Star also deserved kudos for bringing on a 1920s bob with waves. Cotton had serious love troubles, with Elliot wanting to get serious with her, and running into her previous bad boyfriend when they were out together. Jahil told Hunter’s mother, Arlene, that Brody was trying to sell pictures of Star looking battered after Hunter beat the crap out of her. Miss Lawrence let Carlotta know what was going on with Brody. She didn’t want to sink to his level, but Miss Lawrence told her to, sink, bitch. Rehearsals for the showcase were not going well, but when the performers were told that if it failed, Ayanna would have no choice but to sell the label, they pulled it together for the dress rehearsal. Noah apologized to Alex, who told him to never kiss her again, but the look on her face wasn’t jiving with her words. The best part, besides the hair, was Arlene meeting Jahil, and telling him that she wanted Brody dead. Brody appeared out of nowhere, turning the tables, and slashing her a million times. Afterward, he returned Star’s phone, and told her that he’d never bother her again. Right. Next week, the finale.
