What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Crete, Greece. Anna and Valentin walk into a bar (not the start of a joke), and Anna says, that was totally unsatisfying. He says, just what every man wants to hear, and she laughs, saying, she meant retracing Chloe’s steps. They sit at a table, and Anna says she was hoping to find something more other than the site of the accident. He says they did find something more; they found a road to this quaint little town. He asks if they shouldn’t take a night off from sleuthing. Just one, and have themselves a little drinkie. She says she’s in, and he goes to the bar.

Drew is drowsing in his cell, when Russ comes in, and says he’s got company. Drew says Russ brought him a roommate; how thoughtful. Russ says, enjoy, and tosses Obrecht into the room, slamming the door behind her. She says, my God. Drew Cain? He’s alive? He says, Dr. Obrecht, right? She says he vanished; it’s been years. He says he’s guessing she’s not the reason he’s in there, which begs the question, who managed to capture her?

Michael and Willow sit with Wiley while he colors. Michael says his boy is the next Picasso, and she says, that’s his boy all right. He asks if she’s suggesting he’s not artistic, and she says she’s not saying he’s not not artistic. He says he’s wounded, but she says he’ll get over it. Yuri comes in, and tells them that Brook took Bailey upstairs for naptime, but he has a treat from Charlie’s for Wiley. He holds out a bag, and Willow says, how sweet. She thinks they’ll save it for dessert. Yuri lingers, and Michael asks if there’s something else. Yuri says, Wiley has a visitor, and Nina comes in.

Josslyn leads Maxie into the former home of the moss bowl🎍, and Carly asks, what’s up? Josslyn says, Maxie has something she wants to tell Carly, and Carly says, sounds serious. Josslyn says, it is, and Maxie says, she’s of two minds. A big part of her thinks, it’s not her business, just stay out of it (which gets my vote), but another part of her, also big, says she has information Carly has a right to because she’s Sonny’s wife. And if she were Carly, she’d want to know.

Jason tells Sonny, it was his idea to have the funeral. Carly wasn’t ready, nobody was ready, but he said they should do it. Sonny says he did right. Jason had to send a message that Sonny was gone, and he was in charge of the business. Jason says he hated every minute of it. He felt like he couldn’t actually grieve. Sonny says, the good news is, Jason doesn’t have to grieve anymore.

Valentin says, life is so strange, isn’t it? and Anna says, in what way? He says, it’s cyclical. It teaches us the most interesting lessons in the most unexpected ways. She says he’s in a mood, and he says he’s in an unburdening mood; is that a turn-off? She says, no. She likes it. Keep going. How is life unexpected and interesting? He says, being back in Greece for one. It helped him to see how after, in his mind, she rejected him because of the way he looked. She says, it had nothing to do with the way he looked, and he says, he told her, in his mind. He became obsessed with recreating himself, and getting his hands on the Cassadine inheritance. She says, and taking his place as that Cassadine, and he says, and all the evil crap. It was to pay for his expenses, his final surgeries, and also to fund his quest for the Cassadine fortune. It was also about circling back to her. He wanted to stand tall in front of her, and say, look at me, Anna Devane, I’m strong. And I’m rich. I’m a Cassadine. He doesn’t think he ever appreciated how much of a burden he was to himself.

Obrecht says, of course (🍷) she’s not the reason Drew is there. Does he think if she wanted to hold someone captive, she couldn’t come up with a better facility than this? He says he sees she’s not into the accommodations, but they grow on you. She says, that’s quite the professional beating he received, and digs in her bag, bringing out a syringe. He asks, what’s that? and she says, antibiotics. She’s been told to treat him for possible infection. He says he doesn’t think that’s a good idea, and she says, why not? He says, if memory serves – and he could be wrong about this – she was some kind of evil villainess, wasn’t she? She laughs, and says he has much bigger problems than her. He says, is that so? and she says, he really doesn’t know who’s holding him there, does he? He guesses she’s not about to tell him, but she says, on the contrary. She’d be delighted. She gives him the shot.

Michael tells Yuri, it’s okay; Nina is family. Yuri leaves, and Willow tells Wiley, look who’s here. Nina says she doesn’t know what kind of grow pill Wiley is taking, but it needs to stop right now. He’s grown a foot since she last saw him. She’s missed him so much. Willow says Wiley has missed her too, and Nina asks if she can have a hug. Wiley hugs her, and she says, it’s the best hug ever. She says she got him something, and hands him a box which probably contains toy trucks. He goes to the table with it, and Willow says, he loves it, although how she can tell, I’m not sure, because Wiley is not talking today. Nina says she heard Willow and Michael got back together; she’s so happy for them. Michael says they’re happy for them too, and Willow says, it seems like the whole family has been given a second chance now that Sonny’s home. Michael asks, what about Nina? Is this a quick visit, or is she back for good?

Sonny asks Jason for details of what happened when he was gone, and Jason says, ask him anything. Sonny says he knows Jason wouldn’t have had a funeral first of all, and he definitely woudn’t have gotten married to Carly if the situation didn’t require it. Jason says, they had no choice, and Sonny says, then Dante showed up when he came home. Was that as a policemen? Jason says, there was an explosion in a limo outside their wedding, and Sonny asks, who was in it? Jason says, Novak and Buscema, and Sonny says, what are the odds? He can’t see Jason inviting two guys to a wedding who he was going to blow up, but he could see them coming to a wedding to blow Jason and Carly up. He was one step ahead, right? Jason says, they owe it all to Ms. Woo, and Sonny says he always liked her. Jason says, him too.

Carly asks Maxie what it is they’re talking about. What does she know? Maxie says she’s going to tell Carly, and Carly says, then tell her. Maxie asks if she can do it her way, and in order. And please, try to reserve any judgement, which she knows will be difficult. It would be for her too. They’re kind of alike in that way. Josslyn says she gets that Maxie is trying to help, but the way she’s building this up is making it sound really bad. Maxie says, well, it is, and Carly says, what is it? Maxie says, fine. Nina has known for months Sonny was alive.

Valentin tells Anna, does he hate that Helena Cassadine is his mother? Of course (🍷) he does, but he’s free of it. She says, yes, he is, and he says he has two beautiful daughters that he loves and adores. He has money of his own; he’s his own man. Of course (🍷) they still have a messy history, and Anna says, so messy, but he says he’s not tethered by it. He doesn’t drag it around like a ball and… She says, chain? and he says, he’s free to pursue her because he wants to, because she’s gorgeous, and she captivates him, and he could make her dizzy with a dozen fancy words for why he just likes to be around her. She thinks that’s enough ouzo for him, but he says, maybe it’s not enough ouzo for her. She asks if he’s trying to get her drunk, and he says, hell yes. If she thinks he’s handsome now, wait until she gets a buzz going. She laughs, and he calls for two more. He says, this is the perfect atmosphere for this conversation. If they’d had this conversation back in Port Charles, she’d  be so guarded. She says she’s not guarded. She needs to keep up a professional demeanor. He says she’s guarded. She never lets her defenses down. Here, it’s just the two of them in the field. When the sun comes up, she can pretend this never happened. She can just dismiss his words as those of a drunken fool, but tonight, he’s saying everything.

Obrecht asks what was the last thing Drew did as a free man? and he says, he sent Andre Maddox back to Port Charles. He got on a charter plane to Afghanistan – at least he thought it was headed to Afghanistan. He was going to return the money his good buddy Archer stole, but somewhere along the line, they veered off course, and landed on some island. She says, then what? and he says, two guys with guns boarded the flight. He tried to resist them, then, lights out. For him, not them. He woke up in this place, and he’s been here ever since. She asks what that tells him, and he says she must really like the game Twenty Questions. It tells him that somebody wanted him abducted. He didn’t know who then, and still doesn’t. She says, it was two people, working in tandem, and he says, and those people would be…? She says, the first, the one who originally arranged for his abduction, is none other than Peter August.

Sonny tells Jason, he assumes with Buscema and Novak out of the picture, nothing ties them to their deaths. Jason says he and Diane will have to go down to the station for a while, but there’s nothing to find. Sonny says, good, that means they’re in a decent position, but Jason doesn’t know, because Buscema and Novak wouldn’t have acted on their own. Even from prison, he’s still connected. Cyrus is definitely not gone. Sonny says, they’d better work on a strategy, and Jason says, what? Sonny says he can just picture that bastard sipping coffee, learning about the two guys that died, and he’s alive. He laughs, and says he’s standing in front of his grave, and he’s not in it. He feels like a winner. He cannot be touched. Jason says, then they need to have this conversation.

Nina tells Michael, it’s a little early to say if she’s back for good. TBD, how about that? Willow says, but no more… Nina says, Pennsylvania. She said goodbye to her time there. Michael says, when one chapter closes, another begins, and Nina tells him, that’s what they say. Wiley looks so happy. Willow says, they’re trying, and Nina says, they’re succeeding. She says there’s something she needs to tell them.

Josslyn asks if Maxie just said Nina knew, and Maxie says, yes. Josslyn says, so when she went to pick up her dad in Nixon Falls, Nina knew Sonny was there? Maxie says, yes, and Josslyn says, she was hiding him away, letting all of them grieve, and putting her mother through hell? Carly says she wants to know what Nina knew, and when, and when Maxie found out. Maxie swears she didn’t know when she planned the wedding. She didn’t find out until this morning when Nina came to her. She was really upset and very remorseful. She said she made a terrible mistake. Carly says, mistake? Is that what we’re calling it?  

Valentin says, Anna’s turn, and she says, to drink or talk? He says, both. They don’t have to talk about him all night; they can talk about her. What does she think of him? She says since he’s not even going to remember his name in the morning, she’ll tell him. She missed him. She missed what they were to each other; their friendship. She knows it was her who messed it up, but then when everything happened, and he came back into her life, there was a problem. He asks, what was the problem? and she says she likes him. She doesn’t want to, and it keeps getting worse. She thinks, in a way, he understands her better than anyone else. Robert is the closest obviously, but he’s a good soldier. That’s the difference; he never sold out. Robert never compromised himself like she did. He says, they both did, and she says she’s not saying Robert looks down on her. She’s saying, she looks down on herself when she’s with him. Valentin asks if she’s with him because he’s so much worse, and she says he is, but that’s not what she meant. He says, the first thing that changed his life completely was the birth of his daughter Charlotte. And she knows the second thing. It was her.

Drew says, oh my God. Of course (🍷). Peter was in Afghanistan. Peter paid David Archer to hand him over to Helena. Obrecht says, something he didn’t remember at first, but when it started to come back years later… He says, that son of a bitch didn’t want him to rat him out. She says, Peter was anxious to keep hidden what a demented human being he is. Someone who stole Drew from his life, and scrambled his memory. He says, Peter saw him as a threat, and she says, specifically Drew’s standing with the people Peter holds most dear – Maxie and his unborn child. So Peter went extreme, as they say. Not that she hasn’t been there herself, but there’s a difference between doing nefarious things because you’re blindly in love with the person you’re doing them for, and doing them just because it’s expedient. He asks what Peter did to Maxie.

Jason tells Sonny, Carly wanted to be there to talk about it, but since the moment came up, he will. How’s Sonny doing with his bipolar disorder? Has he been on his meds? How’s he dealing with it, because he seems like he’s doing okay right now. Sonny says he was lucky, because one of the people who took him in, Phyllis, is a nurse. She noticed his erratic behavior from the beginning. Jason asks if it was bad, but Sonny says, it didn’t get really bad. He didn’t sleep a couple nights, and Jason knows how he gets when he’s having a manic episode. Anybody else would have thrown him out or call the cops, but they were fantastic. They just told him to go to the doctor and get treatment. Jason says, it sounds like a real blessing, but that doctor was treating a bartender named Mike, so Sonny should see his psychiatrist.

Nina says she can’t tell Michael and Willow how much it means to her that they gave her a second chance. To be able to be with Wiley is such a gift. Michael says, what it boils down to is, Wiley loves her, and she loves him, and Nina says, so much. Willow asks how they could take that away from him, and Nina says she’s so grateful. Not only for that, but also, that they’re Wiley’s parents. They’re really great parents. They put Wiley first, and you can tell. He’s such a happy, all-around awesome kid. She gives them all the credit. Michael says he doesn’t know about that, but Nina says she does. They’re decent, kind, good people. They didn’t have to let her be part of Wiley’s life, but they did it anyway. She knows there was a little coercion with Jax, but she believes if they thought she was bad for Wiley, there’s no way they would let her in his life. They gave her a chance. Willow says Nina is very kind to say all that, but Nina says she means it; she’s grateful. Michael says, so are they.

Maxie tells Carly, the situation with Wiley had gone bad, as she knows, and Nina wanted to get out of town to clear her head. She stopped by Nixon Falls to say hello to a friend, and she was floored when she saw Sonny. Carly says, so floored, she couldn’t tell them? and Maxie says, Nina told her that she did call to tell Carly that she saw Sonny, but they got in some kind of argument? Josslyn says, so now this is her mom’s fault? and Maxie tells her, she didn’t say that. Josslyn says her mom wasn’t nice to Nina, so that gave her the right to lie, and keep Sonny a secret for months? That is crap. Really? We can’t do better than that line?

Anna says she changed Valentin’s life? This should be good. He says it was miraculous seeing her again. She’d completely changed her life around. She’d gone from a sad, flawed, compromised sellout… She says, don’t hold back, and he says she’s become so much better. He admires her. He could never reach the level she’s reached, but she’s showed him that he can make better choices. She says she can see that; she sees him. He says he knows she does, and she says, she knows he sees her better than anyone does. He shakes his finger at her, and she tells him not to get all juvenile about this. He says, where has he heard this before? Not the juvenile part, but the other part. He knows – from himself. He’s been saying that all along. He gets her, right down to her socks. She says she’s not wearing any socks, and he says, that’s a good start. They kiss, and I’m so in.

Obrecht says, Peter and Maxie conceived a child together, and Drew says he thought Maxie had better instincts then that. She says, he won her over, and he was convincing. He completely sold Maxie on the fact that he was reformed. She fell for it too for a while. Maxie was her daughter-in-law, and Obrecht wanted to be on good terms with her. Drew asks how that worked out for her, and she snorts. She says, when Peter’s past was on the brink of haunting him, he framed her for his own crimes, and had her shipped off to Steinmaur. He says, so she was at Steinmaur, and they sent her here, but she says, there was this whole interstitial with Maxie realizing how despicable Peter was, rejecting him, and him arranging to induce her labor, so he could kidnap her and his child. Drew asks, what happened? and Obrecht says, it backfired. The woman he hired to preside over the birth, ended up stealing the baby, handing her over to someone else, and meeting an untimely end. So now that precious baby is out there, and Maxie doesn’t know where to find her. He says, so she thinks this was a set-up by Peter? and she says she’s positive. The only thing Peter cares about is finding his daughter. Which is clearly why he’s working with Victor. Drew asks, who the hell is Victor?  

Nina sits down, and Michael says, they’d forgotten how much Nina came through in the original custody hearing. She told the truth about Nelle, and he knows it made a huge difference. Nina says, at the time, she didn’t know Wiley was her grandson, and Michael says, he thought about that; if knowing what they know now would have changed what Nina said, but Willow says, it doesn’t matter. Nina came through for Wiley when he needed her, and they’ll always be grateful. Michael says, it was definitely a turning point in the custody fight, and Nina says, what she remembers about that day is, she just generally wanted to do the right thing. Even though in her heart she wishes things could have been different for Nelle, and for her, the fact that things turned out the way they did for Wiley, she’s thankful for. That part, she’ll never question or regret, because Wiley has them.

Josslyn says she’s sorry. She’s not mad at Maxie; it’s Nina she’s mad at. But she’s got to say, it kind of seems like Maxie is defending her. Maxie says she’s not defending Nina. What she did is indefensible, but does she feel empathy for Nina? Yes, because she’s been at a place in her life where she convinced herself – out of fear, anger, or pain – that doing something wrong was okay. She’s been there, and isn’t in a position to judge Nina. Is Carly? Right now I want to knock Josslyn and Carly’s heads together, so I vote no.  

Sonny tells Jason, he really hadn’t thought about it, since he was on his medication. He was doing well. Jason says he’s glad, and Sonny says, but Jason’s right. He’s got to check it out, take care of himself. Did Jason and Carly talk about this, about him? Jason says, of course (🍷). It’s a big deal that he’s back; it’s a lot to figure out. Sonny says, sorry Jason got stuck with this. All the hell Jason has been through, and he wasn’t there. Jason says it’s not Sonny’s fault, and Sonny says, no, it’s not. It’s Nina’s.

Valentin tells Anna that she’s a good kisser, and she says, they need to sober up. He says she told him that she wasn’t drunk, and she says, he needs to sober up. He asks where the fun is in that? and she says she’s going to get them a gallon of water and a gallon of coffee. Then they’re going to sober up, and go back to the hospital. He asks, what about her socks? and she says, oh boy. She goes to the bar and asks for water and coffee, but when she turns around, Valentin is passed out, his head on the table.   

Drew says, Victor Cassadine didn’t die in that explosion at Creighton-Clark? and Obrecht says, no, he survived, and he’s been pulling strings ever since. To what extent she’s not certain. All she knows is, on her way to St. Lucia… He says, St. Lucia? and she says, to take care of Peter, as he so richly deserved. She was abducted and wound up there, with a pit stop at Victor’s lavish compound. He says he bets she’s missing that place right about now, but she says, the company is better here. He says, let him get this straight. Victor and Peter are working together because Peter wants to find his daughter. She says, yes, and he says, but Peter is an incredible lowlife; Victor’s got to know that. She says, please. Anyone who’s met Peter for five minutes knows that, and he asks, what’s in it for Victor? Obviously, he’s not doing this out of the goodness of his heart, so what’s he getting out of this arrangement?   

Michael says Nina probably wants some alone time with Wiley, and suggests he and Willow take a walk. Willow says she’d like nothing more, and they leave. In the foyer, Willow asks if Michael got the feeling something is going on with Nina. She seems upset, or lost, or… Willow doesn’t know. He says, that’s probably part of the reason she’s here; seeing Wiley will be good for her. Willow says, it always does wonders for her. In the living room, Nina asks if she can help Wiley with his coloring and sits on the floor. She says she’s sorry she was gone for so long. They have to make up for lost time, right? Wiley says, yeah, and she says, lost time might be all we have left.

Jason asks what Sonny is talking about. Nina who? Sonny says, Nina Reeves, and Jason says he doesn’t understand. Sonny says, remember the Phyllis he told Jason about? She hired him to work at the bar. She was friends with Nina, and Nina left Port Charles to come and see Phyllis. She saw him, and knew that he was dead, but she saw him alive. Jason asks, for how long? and Sonny says, pretty much most of the time. Jason says, she knew and didn’t say anything to anybody? but Sonny says, it’s complicated. Jason says, it doesn’t sound that complicated to him, and Sonny says, what happened was, Nina was upset with Carly over the whole Nelle thing and Wiley… Jason says, he knows, but they went through hell. Carly and the kids were devastated. Now Sonny is telling him that they didn’t have to be devastated? That Nina held the key to all this pain, and didn’t use it? Sonny says he gets that Jason is angry, and he is also. Jason says Sonny isn’t angry enough.

Carly tells Maxie that she’s done terrible, questionable things, but that doesn’t justify what Nina did. She stole Sonny’s life for months, and for what? Out of spite? She literally took Sonny’s free will, and sat back and watched his family grieve, so no, Nina doesn’t get an excuse. Maxie says she doesn’t disagree with Carly, and Carly says, what Maxie did today was the opposite of what Nina did to Sonny. She kept him a secret because it suited her. Maxie told the truth because she believed Carly deserved to know. Maxie says she’s going to feel bad if she doesn’t say this, but she still loves Nina, even though Nina did something very wrong. Carly says, that’s the painful part of loving someone who messes up, but this was Nina’s choice, and she’s going to have to live with the consequences.

Anna tucks Valentin in. She smooths back his hair, and turns out the light. She leaves, and we see the tattoo of the Cassadine crest on his forearm.

Obrecht says Drew is a very shrewd man; he cuts right to the heart of it. Victor never does anything without an ulterior motive. There’s always a goal he’s working towards. He says, Peter is helping him achieve that goal, and she says, Peter has something Victor wants or needs, or plans to acquire. She hopes he gets it. When Peter is no longer of use to Victor, that will be the end of Peter August. He says, none of which helps them. He doesn’t know about her, but he can’t wait until it plays out between those two psychos. How are they going to get the hell out of here? She says, music to her ears, and they hear the door. Drew gets back on the cot, and Russ comes in, saying, time’s up. Obrecht says, this man is very ill. His kidney may be bruised, and she needs to see him again soon. Russ says he’ll tell the boss. Let’s go. Before she leaves, Obrecht turns and gives Drew a slight nod.

Anna asks the bar musician if he speaks English, and he says, yes. She says she’s headed to the U.S. Consul hospital to check on a patient there. Her friend is asleep upstairs, and she may not be back until morning. He says, not to worry. He’ll make sure her friend gets the message. She thanks him, and says she loved his playing. She leaves, and as he closes his guitar case, we see a tattoo matching Valentin’s on his forearm.

Jason says, Nina took nine months from Sonny. Nine months where he wasn’t living his life with his wife and kids. Why isn’t he furious? Sonny says he was furious, but what’s the point? Nina is a sad woman. Her mother screwed her over, she went through a bad period in her life. Then she finds out she had a child, and it’s Nelle. That would mess anyone up. He’s not making excuses; she absolutely should have told the truth. She made a bad decision. Jason says, it’s more than one bad decision. She took so much from Sonny. Sonny says he’s not happy about that, but he doesn’t see the point in wasting his energy on hating her. Maybe he doesn’t want to let himself get angry. He’ll have to talk to his psychiatrist about that one. Jason says, sounds like a plan, and Sonny says, let’s get out of here. He points at his gravestone, and says, get rid of it. It should have been gone yesterday.

Nina tells Wiley to say cheese as she takes selfies with him. Yuri comes in, and says, Wiley has another visitor. Nina says, of course (🍷) he does, because he’s irresistible. Carly walks in, and Nina suggests Yuri take Wiley. She thinks she and Carly will need time alone. She gives Wiley a fist bump as Yuri takes him. Carly closes the door and says, you stole Sonny’s life, and bitch, you’re going to pay.   

Tomorrow, Trina says, today Esme and Spencer are going to get what’s coming to them; Scotty tells Ava that it’s her call if she wants to stay married; Sonny asks if Jason left Britt for Carly; and Carly says Nina is going to pay (again).

Vanderpump Rules

LVP and Ken discussed reopening after lockdown, and met with Nick Alain. James practiced his DJ skills in the living room, using the applause button on his keyboard for response. We saw Lala’s daughter Ocean, and Lala putting breast milk in her coffee. Scheana was also a new mother to Summer Moon Honey. Wow. Pick a lane. In LVP’s interview, she said they’d been locked up for a year, and everyone wanted to come out and party. We’re back baby. Schwartz and Katie were trying for a baby, but so far, had no luck. Luckier on the business end, Schwartz was opening a new place with Tom. We saw clips of them in the unfinished space, and talking about the features they wanted to install. Since the two of them are d*cks, LVP had to be the one to ask about what she’d heard through the grapevine, and they were too scared to tell her. Puffy! They admitted they were going to open a new bar/restaurant, and Tom said they were thinking of calling it Schwartz & Sandy’s. In Katie’s interview, she said she thought the name didn’t convey the funky and fresh vibe the Toms were going for. She told Ariana that she wanted to get involved with the new bar, and in Ariana’s interview, she said, she and Katie had gotten close, but Katie and Tom had always clashed. She wasn’t too sure how he was going to feel about that. LVP told the Toms that she and Ken were supportive, and it was all good.

At SUR, LVP asked Raquel about James, and in Raquel’s interview, she said James was two years sober, and had made progress. He’d been sober since she’d given him the ultimatum. We flashed back to that, and she said, but he still smoked weed. He was California sober. James met with LVP, and told her that he’d been self-reflecting. In his interview, he said he was actually doing better without the alcohol; his DJ’ing was on another level now. He wanted to get back into SUR, and LVP asked if he understood the boundaries. He said he never saw everything as clear as he did now, but she had some receipts showing the opposite. He’d sent Max a series of rage texts, calling Max a pr*ck, and saying Max was fat and nobody liked him, using the word fat in nearly every text. James has zero body fat, which isn’t necessarily complimentary, but I don’t know if he just knows it’s an extremely hurtful thing to say, or he actually has some huge aversion to essentially a normal body type. Regardless, I guess he’s not seeing things as clearly as he thinks. He told LVP that he and Max had a big blow-out. The sad part was, he’d known Max for a decade, and this had to do with splitting a plate of food in a restaurant. James said it was one of those little bumps in a friendship, and Max had blocked him all over the place. LVP said she’d block him too. He acted like an a-hole.

In Scheana’s interview, she told us that she and Brock were seeing each other, the pandemic hit, they moved in together, and nine months later, they had a baby. She was sure he was the one, and knew she’d said that before, but she’d never felt this secure and in love. He is really cute with the baby, and just plain cute, so I think this is a win for her. In Lala’s interview, she talked about being pregnant, and how her kid just flipped out of the cookie. Yes, we saw pictures. She’d written a book, Give Them Lala, and said she’d been writing it for a year. We saw a headline where she talked about shoving Randall’s toothbrush up her butt when they’d had a fight, and she said Randall’s reaction had been, WTF? but now when she was pissed, he thought twice about brushing his teeth. She told Katie she’d had two babies this week, Ocean and the book. While visiting Lala, Katie got a text invite to Scheana’s hibachi birthday dinner, hosted by Tom and Ariana.

Brock asked Scheana if she was going to invite Lala, and Scheana said that it was upsetting that Lala hadn’t been there for her during her miscarriage. Instead, she’d gone out to dinner with celebrities. We saw a clip of Scheana’s vlog, where she wept while talking about her miscarriage, and she told Brock, it had been devastating. She’d needed Lala, but Lala was having dinner with Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly. At Lala’s place, Lala asked Katie, and where was Brock? Golfing. Scheana had gone on a podcast, and talked about Lala not being there for her, and Lala had gotten some intense messages. In Lala’s interview, she said she got DM’s saying she deserved to miscarry. She was having intense hormonal depression, and it sent her into a full-on spiral. Scheana told Brock, from day one, she had Lala’s back, while Lala told Katie that Scheana was not getting an apology. You could only smack the bee’s nest for so long before getting stung.

In Tom’s interview, he said it was going to be their first get-together in the new house. When they first moved in, people were judgy about them having no furniture, but now they could shut up. You get a chair! You get a chair! Everybody gets a chair! Scheana called Tom and Ariana to thank them, but really to tell Ariana that Lala had been talking smack about her on a podcast. Ready with the evidence, Scheana played a clip for Ariana, where Lala said, with Ariana, it is what it is. Ariana didn’t give a f*** about her, and vice versa. In Ariana’s interview, she said she didn’t give a f*** about 99% of people, but she’d gone out of her way to give a f*** about Lala. She’d opened up about her anxiety and body issues, and had let Lala eat her cookie. Tom wondered if Lala just wanted to be controversial, but Ariana said, if that was the case, don’t use her to get attention. She was over being chill and reasonable. F*** her.

LVP wanted Max to work it out with James, because Max was in the restaurant five days a week. She’d invited James over, and in James’s interview, he said it was like being called to the principal’s office when he was five. If that really happened, he must have been pretty mature at five. Most of us weren’t even in regular school yet. Is he Benjamin Button emotionally? In LVP’s interview, she said out of all the people on the planet, her son was the only person on James’s side. She thought it was a relationship worth saving. Discussing it in the kitchen, Max asked why James had been so aggressive, and James said Max complained about them charging $10 to split a plate. He went off because they’d taken a pre-workout supplement. Um… steroids? I don’t know many supplements that would jazz you that much. James said it brought out the Alpha male in him, and Max said he took the same thing, so why had he been chill? James said, Max hadn’t been chill. Max bummed him out over a ten dollar charge. Max said James was playing the victim. When James used to drink, it was an escapade of belligerence every time they went out, and now this. James said he didn’t mean any of it, but Max said he didn’t want James at SUR. Because James still can’t take any pushback, he told Max that he was just the boring little boy he’d always been – which was really smart to do in front of his mom – and Max walked out. LVP said, that didn’t go well, and James started crying, one of his go-to moves. LVP said he was responsible for the situation, and James wondered why he treated his friend like that. Seriously. It was one of those times where anything other than an apology is a bad idea.

Katie wanted be involved in the new restaurant, and told Schwartz, since they didn’t have a baby, that could be their baby. She wanted to be Hot Bitch in Charge. In Schwartz’s interview, he said, Katie didn’t like people, and the industry revolved around people. The theme for Scheana’s birthday was Mom’s Night Out, and she’d asked everyone to wear pink or black, because the only cute thing that fit her was a pink dress. Ariana was wearing pink, but said her soul was black. Tom made a special cocktail called Summer’s Eve, not knowing that was the name of a douche. Ariana asked if Scheana and Lala were going to duke it out. Magician Ben was introduced, and in Lala’s interview, she said, really? A magician for a grown-ass birthday party? She loved magicians, and thought they were super cool – when Randall got them for his child’s party. Ben’s finale was making Scheana’s ring disappear on a balloon that rose to the sky, then reappear in a wrapped box. In her interview, Lala added, okay. That was pretty dope. The chef and server, both Jonathans, appeared, and dinner was hibachied and served.

Katie told Tom that she wanted to be the maître d of the new place, and Tom said, okay, but it was one of those okays that doesn’t really mean okay. Schwartz said, Schwartz and Sandy sounded like they should be serving matzo ball soup. Agreed. It sounds like a Jewish deli. Katie said it was uninspired, and in Tom’s interview, he said he’d like to see the receipts of what she’s done, and her achievements of amazingness. Then there was this huge deal about the name, and Tom told Schwartz that he was done arguing with Katie; no more. James stood up like he was going to give a toast, and invited everyone to Palm Springs. There wasn’t going to be a Coachella this year, so he thought they could recreate it. Tom said they’d make their own Coachella. Scheana told Brock that she still needed to have a conversation with Lala, and grabbed Lala as she was going inside. She asked if Lala would sit down with her, and Lala was like, now? but Scheana was insistent. She said she’d needed Lala in Palm Springs. Lala didn’t understand how hard it had been for her. Lala said she’d answered every phone call, and offered to come. Scheana said she wanted to be by herself. When Scheana said she was ready to see Lala, she was on her way to dinner. She wasn’t there for Scheana the way Scheana wanted her to be, but she was there. She wasn’t apologizing. Scheana asked if Lala ever considered she wasn’t thinking clearly; she’d just lost a baby. Lala said she got that, but what Scheana had done wasn’t cool. The day she found out she was having a baby girl was the moment Scheana chose to publicly say Lala wasn’t there for her when she miscarried. She was already fighting depression, and got messages saying people hoped she miscarried Ocean. From the stands table, Ariana relayed to the others that Lala was crying. Something is happening. Lala says she gets what Scheana went through, but Scheana should have called and told Lala that she’d hurt her. Scheana said, that’s how she reacted, but she understood; from Lala’s perspective, she felt she was there. She was sorry she’d expected Lala to be a mind reader. Lala said they needed to get on the same page. She hated that they didn’t share their pregnancy experiences. Those were moments they couldn’t get back. She wanted their kids to be friends.

Raquel asked Lala if they were all right, and in Raquel’s interview, she said, time and again, she’d experienced the wrath of Lala. But she’d rather lead with compassion and empathy, than worry if Lala was going to lash out. Lala told Raquel that she hated how she and Scheana couldn’t get their pregnancies back, and weren’t communicating. She thought they’d had a breakthrough with their friendship, and wanted to stop with the pattern. Raquel said she didn’t know what to expect from Lala. She didn’t know where she stood. Lala said she liked Raquel her right now, and Raquel said she no longer felt she needed Lala’s approval, although she did for a long time. She was over it. instead of realizing Raquel was telling Lala that she’d grown as a person, Lala took it as an insult, and asked if Raquel was trying to battle her. Raquel said she wasn’t. She wanted them to be on the same page, but had felt attacked. Lala said she thought they’d moved on from that. Raquel needed to be babied more, so she’d baby her. Raquel said, just a little bit, making a joke out of it, and Lala said she’d baby the f*** out of her. The next time she wanted to rage, she’d redirect it to Charli. She seemed like a bitch who could take it. Ariana said Lala had raged about her out of nowhere on a podcast. Lala said she talked sh*t a lot because she wore her emotions on her sleeve. She and Ariana had been surface for a while, and she didn’t even hear from Ariana ever. Ariana said that wasn’t true, and Lala asked if It wasn’t true that Ariana didn’t give a f*** about her. Ariana said Lala wanted it to be, and it wasn’t true before, but it was now. Lala said she didn’t need this, and left. Ariana said Lala consistently gaslighted her, and never apologized.

Next time, Schwartz tells Katie that he and Tom have to present a united front; Katie could have sworn Schwartz said til death do us part to her, not Tom; the group goes to Palm Springs; Raquel does the bend-and-snap; and Lala and Charli go at it. And not in a good way.

🕺🕺 Here’s my take on the Toms. They were on Watch What Happens Live afterward, and Tom Sandoval is sooo full of himself. He says Tom Schwartz has a voice and can be aggressive, but I don’t believe that for a second. I think Sandoval steamrolls right over him, as evidenced during the name argument. Which, BTW, Sandoval won. The restaurant is going to be called Schwartz and Sandy’s. When there was a vote as to who was top guy now that Jax – still the worst human being in the world – is gone, Sandoval won that too. Schwartz said he was happy being number two, and I believe that.

The Walking Dead

Judith and Michonne are having dinner. Judith giggles, and puts a napkin on her head. Daryl brings a tray upstairs, and leaves it outside a bedroom door. I’m guessing for Carol

Siddiq sees Lydia, who’s on wall patrol, and she smiles at him. Carol puts fresh bandages her arm. Magna and Yumiko make love. Magna watches Yumiko sleep, and gets up.

Ezekiel sleeps and wakes suddenly. He hears whispering outside and looks out the window. He jets outside, and hears gunfire. By now, lots of people are up, wondering what’s going on, and there’s yelling in the distance.

Aaron is concerned the gate isn’t going to hold, and Earl agrees. A tree has fallen, and compromised the wall. Connie signs to Kelly, the tree? wondering if the Whisperers are to blame, but Kelly signs she doesn’t know. Luke asks if Connie thinks it’s them, and Earl says, of course it was. They’re already at war; they just didn’t know it. Jerry carries his wife in, and says there were nine injured. The bridge collapsed, and they were under it. Ezekiel tells Jerry that he’s fine, and not to worry. The others need help. Magna suggests they empty some trailers to deal with the injured, and Yumiko recommends using mattresses for stretchers.

In the daylight, and Aaron is training the young people. One of them fumbles, and he says they’re dead. They were looking at the ground. They have to get back on the training track. Head to hands always. If you lose focus, you get killed. Alden says the Whisperers took their friends, their land, and must be stopped again. Margo asks Lydia – who’s been minding her own business – if she thinks mommy will take her in, and Lydia tells her, get the hell out of here. Aaron tells them run it again.

On their way to help at Hilltop, Michonne rides her horse next to a carriage carrying Judith and several others. Judith notices Michonne looks worried. Michonne tells Judith not to worry. It’s her job, and she’s good at it. Judith suggests she can be a fresh set of eyes or friendly ears. Michonne tells her, Alpha said she’d release the horde if they crossed the border, but Carol took a shot at her, and she took more land. Judith says, maybe the rules are changing, but Michonne says, you can’t negotiate with a bully, or there’s no end to how much they’ll try to take. Some bullies, you can live with, but some you’ve got to fight. Judith wonders if they can live with the skins, but Michonne says they can’t take them at their word, and have to measure them by their actions. And their actions are unexpected… Judith says the fastest way to get RJ to sleep is to let him run around until he’s tired. Maybe the Whisperers want them to keep fighting so they get tired, and they have the advantage. Michonne says, not bad, and Judith says, eventually RJ had to be good for something. She asks if she’s right. Michonne looks at her, and says she’s thinking. She frowns, and stops the horses. She looks through the binoculars, and sees Ezekiel, riding down another path. Judith wonders why he’s out there, but Michonne doesn’t know. She tells the others, keep riding to Hilltop. She’ll be right behind. She goes to toward where she saw Ezekiel.

Michonne sees Ezekiel’s horse, minus Ezekiel, trotting in the opposite direction. She looks around, and finds Ezekiel on the edge of a cliff (perhaps where the bridge was?). She calls his name, and he says she should go. She asks him to step away from the edge. Can he? He shakes his head, and she says she’s not going anywhere. He breathes heavily, and hugs her. She tells him, it’s okay, and he kisses her. She kisses back for a moment, then backs away a little. He apologizes, but I’m thinking she liked it.

Negan finds Lydia sitting in between clotheslines that have sheets on them so she can’t be seen. He asks if she’s looking for a job, but she says she’s there to clear her head. He tells her, keep it up, and there are going to be socks with her name on them. She tells him that they started with her again today. He says she’s obviously having a day. What happened? She says she was rolling with it. She did it his way. She didn’t run away and hide. He’d said to kill them with kindness, and she did. He says they just want a reaction; don’t give it to them. Screw ‘em. Daryl sees her, and says, let’s go. She says she’s good, but he says, now. Negan tells him, she’s just trying to fit in, but Daryl says it will never happen if she hangs out with him.

Daryl catches up to Lydia, who says she and Negan were just talking. He says Negan ain’t her friend, but she says, Negan gets her. He tells her, stay away. As they get to Daryl’s place, they find Silence the Whisperers is written on the front door in big yellow letters.

Michonne and Ezekiel sit down, and Ezekiel says, maybe in another universe. He lost his kingdom. He had reign, and what did he do with it? He failed. Ben, Shiva, Henry, now Hilltop. He doesn’t know how to talk to Carol anymore. He didn’t know what he was going to do when he came out there. Michonne says she’s been there before. Not there, but – she indicates his heart – there. A long time ago. She was alone and in a dark place. She envied the walkers. Every time she got one, she was going to let it bite her. She’d put her sword down, and kill it with her bare hands. Eventually, she gave up. Ezekiel asks what it felt like, and she says, it feels like a mask – until it doesn’t. Ezekiel says he can only wear one for so long. Michonne says, then you have to start all over, just like that. Somehow it’s harder the second time, especially if you get used to having someone there; that partner in crime, that sounding board. She tears up, and says, now, it’s all on you; just you.

They walk, and Michonne says, for what it’s worth, Ezekiel’s not a half-bad kisser. He says he’s not at the top of his game, and she says she hasn’t kissed anyone under four feet tall in the last six years. She tells him, next time… He says, when he starts to act like an idiot? She asks him to just promise he won’t ride out by himself. He thanks her.

Zombies continue to gravitate to Hilltop. Magna says, there’s more of them, and Luke says, that’s not good. Thanks, Captain Obvious. Earl says he’ll get some timbers to reinforce the gate. Jerry asks how much time they have, and Earl hopes it’s enough. Everyone who’s been zombie fighting runs back in.

At mealtime, Lydia sits with the group who’s been harassing her, and slaps a dead squirrel on the table, cutting it open with a knife. Blood spritzes onto Gage’s face. Alfred says, she’s crazy. What’s wrong with her? Ozzie and Helen died to save her, and she’s making fools of them. Margo says, not here, and Lydia puts her finger to lips and says, shhh… They leave, and Daryl says she wants to live there, right? Lydia says, they deserved it, and Daryl says, he knows, but she can’t do sh*t like that. She says, but they can write what they want on their door? He says he’ll talk to them, and set them straight, but she says she doesn’t want him to fight her fight. They want her to give up, but she’s not going to; she can’t. He says he gets it. She takes her pokey stick, and goes outside. He says, great, no doubt anticipating more problems.

Outside, Lydia sees Margo, and is suddenly surrounded by her, Gage, and Alfred. (Yes. I cheated, and looked up these names. I have no clue who the blip these kids are, although I vaguely remember Gage.) Lydia asks why they hate her, and Margo says they’re friends were killed. Lydia says she wasn’t there, but Gage says, Ozzie was a fair man. In his honor, they’ll give her one last chance. Margo tells her, run now, and they’ll play dumb when anyone asks. Lydia says this is her home; they’re her people. Margo cracks Lydia in the head. Lydia falls, and Alfred grabs her. Lydia says she loved Henry. They know she did. They start beating on her, although Gage doesn’t really seem on board with it. Negan comes out, and starts shoving them away. Gage says they were just trying to scare her. Siddiq comes out, asking, what the hell is going on? During the melee, when Negan pulled Margot off of Lydia, she got slammed up against the wall. Negan realizes she’s dead, and says, sh*t.

Gage yells, Negan killed her, but Lydia says he didn’t do anything. Daryl says, get him out of here. People start to gather, and Siddiq remembers being with the Whisperers. He goes inside, and plunges his face into a bowl of ice water. Dante bandages Lydia. Daryl comes in, and tells Lydia that he’s sorry this happened. She doesn’t say anything, then mumbles something I can’t understand. He asks her to tell him what happened, and she says, Negan saved her life. She leans on Daryl’s shoulder, and he puts his arm around her.

Daryl goes to see Negan, who’s back in his cell. Negan asks how the kid is doing, and Daryl says, she’s banged up, but she’ll be all right. The young people are talking about putting Negan down, now that Rick isn’t around to save him. Negan says if Daryl came  there looking for a confession, keep walking. For the record, it was accident, and for the record, screw her. Goddam a-hole, beating on a kid. The world is better off. But Daryl already knows that, doesn’t he? He says Daryl came there to look him in the eye, but doesn’t know what to do with him. All the times he’s fantasized about Negan’s death, and tried to kill him, now he’s not so sure. Daryl tells Negan, listen to him. They’ve never been in a room, toe to toe, with no one to save him. What does he want to do? Negan says, the people out there are out for blood and guts. Daryl says Negan is no hero, and Negan agrees. He’s a sucker. He started to believe Daryl’s way of life, and moral code. He was given a taste of freedom, and it was yanked away when he did the right thing. He has to admit, it’s pretty messed up. They both know and appreciate messed up sh*t, but who’s the sucker now?

Daryl asks how Carol is feeling, and she says, sore. She heard what happened. Daryl says, a mess, and Carol says, everyone is talking about Negan again like time never moved. He doesn’t think…? Daryl says, he believes Lydia, and Carol says, it’s just a distraction. Alexandria was attacked. He says they don’t know that yet, and Carol says, the real enemy is out there. He says, enough bad is happening inside. If they don’t fix that, it won’t matter. There won’t be anything left. She says they should have gone to New Mexico. He says, yeah, and walks off.

Magna and the others kill zombies outside the Hilltop gate under a huge moon. Kelly uses a slingshot, and Yumiko, a bow and arrow. Luke thinks they should go back in; there’s more coming. Yumiko agrees they should get out, and calls to Magna. Magna says they have to protect the wall. Kelly says they need kelp. Yumiko grabs Kelly, and Magna tells them, go. Connie grabs Magna, and pulls her with them. They go back inside. Even I’m getting exhausted just watching. The wall starts to shake, and zombies bring down the door.

The zombies begin to stream in. I say, sh*t! Ezekiel and Michonne run out, along with Judith. Judith and Michonne fight side by side, Judith with her own, smaller machete. Judith is quite the little fighter, and Michonne stops for a millisecond to admire that. They continue to do some mother/daughter bonding by slaying zombies together.

Daryl radios Michonne, who asks, what’s going on? He tells her what happened to Lydia, saying, Lydia was lured there, and Negan was with her. She was attacked, and she’s in the infirmary. One of their friends is in the grave, but Negan is on the right side. He’s not sure if it makes a difference. Michonne says maybe she should come home. They have to protect Lydia. Daryl says, they’re trying to, but Michonne says, they have to. for all of them. They went to the border, and met Alpha. It was working, until Carol took a shot at her. Alpha could have killed them. Why does he think she didn’t? Daryl says, they’ve got Lydia. Michonne says Alpha wanted her protected, but she’ll definitely hurt them if Lydia gets hurt or runs off. She has to stay In Alexandria to keep the peace between them. Daryl says he’ll make sure. He admits to being a little afraid of the situation there; there’s going to be a council meeting. Michonne wants him to be her proxy, and vote for her. He says, all right, and she says she knows he’ll do the right thing.

After signing off with Daryl, Michonne gets another call on the radio.

At the council meeting, Gabriel suggests maybe Negan has been redeemed; maybe he has changed. But then again, a man like that, who’s done the things he’s done… Aaron says, and killed who he killed. Something inside him is broken. But they have to face the fact that killing Negan over this could undermine the civilized society they’ve built. Siddiq says, the Whisperers are the ones attacking them. Look what’s going on at Hilltop. Gabriel says the council wasn’t made for this; deciding a man’s fate in the dead of night; a group of people carrying pitchforks. Daryl says they’re supposed to make the people’s decisions for them. Michonne told him to vote for her, and he votes no on killing Negan. Aaron says, the vote is tied, and asks what Gabriel says. Gabriel wants to take the night to clear his head, and consider his vote. He suggests the rest of the council do the same.

Michonne wants to head out to Oceanside. Another mask was found. It might be nothing, but just in case it is them. Although they usually move as a pack. Eugene says, one hundred or more, and uses a bunch of big words. Luke simplifies, saying, like a cockroach family. He asks if she thinks they’re planning another attack. Michonne says the first time, it could be a coincidence, and the second, bad luck, but the third? They need to check. Luke says he’s feeling the ocean calling to him like a loon. Yumiko says he means Jules is calling to him, and he pretends not to know what she’s talking about. He’s never heard of her… Oh yeah, the tall one. Michonne says Eugene needs to lead a wagon back to Alexandria, but Eugene says he’s staying put, and uses a lot of words to say that Hilltop wall might need fortification. Michonne says Judith is coming with her. Who else could be her pair of friendly ears?

Magna is annoyed at Yumiko for making the decision for them to come back in when they were fighting the zombies. She says it was her decision, but Yumiko says it was a split second decision. When the sh*t hit the fan, someone had to. She wonders where this is coming from, and Magna says Yumiko isn’t her lawyer anymore.

Gabriel ponders as he walks to Negan’s cell. He goes inside to see Negan.

Gabriel bangs on Daryl’s door. Daryl opens it, and Gabriel says, he’s gone.

Gabriel tells Daryl and Aaron that a set of keys is missing. Aaron wants to know who was on watch. Lydia has come out of the house, and says she did, as she walks past them. Daryl says she didn’t. He kept watch, and she never left. Lydia walks into Negan’s empty cell, and says, it doesn’t matter. This is where they want her. Daryl says, it doesn’t matter what they want, and she says for a long time, she blamed herself for what happened. She kept thinking what if she’d just stayed in the cell where they found her, and never let them take her alive? What if she never went off with Henry, or said anything to her mother? Daryl says she’s not to blame, but she says, her mother was right. The people there put on polite faces, but they’re just masks. When things get bad, or they get scared, they pick a target, and aim to shoot. Her, Negan, anything but him. Daryl says, Negan is different. She didn’t know him. She says he stood up for her when he didn’t have to. She tried to hate him because she wanted to be like Daryl. Daryl says she doesn’t belong in a cage. She says, it’s better there. She feels safe. He closes the door, and it locks.

Ezekiel tells Jerry, he means it; he’s good. Jerry loads up a truck, and everyone gets ready to move out. Luke says goodbye to Connie and Kelly, and hugs Magna. He gets in the truck bed, and blows Yumiko a kiss. Michonne gets the horses going, and they pull the truck. I wonder how many people are making jokes about real horsepower.

Carol looks out from a rooftop. Below, Daryl takes the graffiti off the door. The camera pans around Alexandria, and we see Silence the Whisperers written in several places, including above the main gate. We hear the Whisperers get louder.

Next time, Negan on the road, Kelly is in trouble, and Alpha tells Beta, strategy takes time, but the Whisperers will crush them.

🎃 Both audience members and Chris Hardwick celebrated Halloween tonight by donning Walking Dead cosplay outfits. Chris came as Dale, and I would not have recognized him in a million years. Guest Matt Jones sported a Eugene pigtail, and suggested Negan had found his calling as a child psychologist. He might be right about that. He also thought Banksy might be responsible for the graffiti showing up around Alexandria. Mike Cudlitz (ex-Abe, who also directed tonight’s episode) and Cassady McClincy (Lydia) were also guests. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a guest have as good a time as Cassady did. She was just happy to be there, to be on TWD, and not be dead.

General Hospital

Hayden goes to the hospital, carrying a big bakery box. Elizabeth says she’s popping up all over the place. She can’t believe Hayden is back in town. Hayden can’t believe Elizabeth is working the day after her reception. Elizabeth tells Hayden she might not be welcome, and Hayden says that’s why she brought treats from Kelly’s for her former colleagues. Elizabeth asks if she means anyone in particular.

Obrecht wakes up to Finn checking her vitals. Franco says, look who’s awake, and she ask why she’s there. He says she was on The Haunted Star, and fell overboard. Curtis and Jax pulled her out, and Finn was kind enough to do mouth to mouth. Obrecht tells Finn, you’re welcome.

Chase visits Willow in her cell. She asks how it’s going, and he says it’s not a great day for the justice system.

Alexis reads that Oscar is leaving his voting shares to someone who helped him out when he needed it, gave him a roof to sleep under, and who will use the shares to take care of many others. Shiloh walks in, saying, sorry he’s late. Did he miss anything? Ned asks how he got in, and Shiloh says he was invited. Ask Alexis. Monica says, Alexis didn’t know? and Alexis says her assistant made the arrangements. Olivia says, Oscar gave his shares to Shiloh? and Alexis says she’s afraid so.

At the station, Mac tells Jason there’s an APB out for him. He says he’s bringing them a witness who can bury Shiloh. She has firsthand knowledge of David Henry Archer and his crimes. Harmony is brought in. Sam says, Harmony? and she says she’s using her real name, Lorraine Miller; widow of the late Douglas Miller.

Obrecht asks why Finn is monitoring her, since he works with infectious diseases. Finn says she was in the murky waters, which hold a variety of issues, including viral infections. Not to worry. She’s welcome.

Hayden asks Elizabeth if she’d like to Indulge. Elizabeth wonders if the doughnuts are an excuse to see Finn. Hayden says they’re an excuse see her sister. Elizabeth says she missed Hayden, who’s totally evading her question. Finn hands Elizabeth an order of antibiotics for Obrecht. He sees Hayden, and she opens the box, saying, doughnut?

Obrecht tells Franco to make himself useful, and get a guard for outside her door. Some schweinhund tried to kill her. What if they come back to finish the job?

Willow asks Chase if Shiloh found out how to get his hands one Wiley. He tells her, nothing has changed, but he misses her. She says she’s easy to find. He says she’s amazing, how she stood her ground. She’s not in it alone. He’s there with her, and Sam and Michael are doing all they can to find evidence to bring down Shiloh for good. Unfortunately, while they’re looking, Shiloh is still looked at as innocent, and using it to his advantage.

Shiloh says it was shocking to him too, but Oscar’s bequest will help DOD accomplish a lot. Alexis says she doesn’t think the probate court will appreciate him using to money to drug and sexually assault women. Shiloh says he was exonerated. She needs to examine her bitterness, and anger addiction, and be proud of Oscar’s legacy. Drew says Oscar didn’t know who Shiloh was. The music is so loud, I miss some of the exchange between them. Shiloh wishes Drew could remember what they shared. Maybe Oscar’s gift will bring them back together. Drew tells him, think again, and knocks him down.

Lawyer Judith says Harmony is her client. She has a testimony, and has been given temporary relief to give her story in person. Robert thanks her, but says before they get into her statement, he wants to clear up a few items. Did Jason have anything to do with her being there? Harmony says he came to see her, and Robert says, whatever promises he made, Robert’s office isn’t bound by them. If he offered to pay her… She says he made no promises or gave her any pay. She contacted the public defender on her own; it was her idea. She perjured herself already, and knows she has has to pay for that, but being incarcerated gave her time to think. She realized Shiloh is responsible for her husband’s death, among many other crimes. Someone has to bring him to justice, and bring an end to DOD.

Finn tells Hayden, thanks, but he’s not in the mood for sweets. He does have a question though. She says he sounds like her sister. Sometimes a doughnut is just a doughnut. Finn puts the box on the reception desk, and tells Elizabeth to put a sign on it that says, help yourself. Elizabeth says, her pleasure, and Finn suggest he and Hayden to go for a walk, like they used to. He steers her toward the elevators. She tries to get Elizabeth to intervene, but Elizabeth says she’s very busy making the sign.

Franco tells Obrecht that he’s called the PCPD to take her statement. She says it’s kind of him to call, but he doesn’t believe her. He says he didn’t say that, but she says his attitude speaks volumes. He says maybe she stumbled and fell. She says she didn’t, and he suggest they at least revisit the sequence of events leading up to it. She says if he insists, and he says they were talking, and she said something about secrets. She says she was exaggerating; she has no secrets. He says she told him something cryptic about Wiley’s parents. She flashes back to talking to him, and says, poor Brad, Lucas, and Wiley’s poor real father. She laughs, and says she recalls the conversation. She’s ashamed; she had a moment of melancholy. She’s truly happy for him, even though his bride was never her favorite person. Knowing what he and Elizabeth have together, she felt left out, and decided to ramble. She implied she was keeping secrets she doesn’t actually possess.

Chase tells Willow, it’s wrong. It’s a literal miscarriage of justice. She’s being treated like a criminal when she’s only protecting her kid, while the real criminal is thumbing his nose at the cops. It makes him want to turn in his badge and work for Sonny. She says he doesn’t mean that, and he says, it’s an appealing fantasy. This isn’t over, and he’s getting her out of there.

Drew tells Shiloh, keep his son’s name out of his mouth. Don’t bring him up again. Shiloh understands. It’s a delicate situation, and everyone is emotional. He’s sorry. Monica says this house has seen more than its share of conflict, and more than its share of interlopers, and they never last. Neither will he. Shiloh admits he’s surprised and excited, but assures them there will be no personal gain. He’s going to use the shares to further compassion, and spread it to future generations. Alexis says he seems unclear on how probate works. Oscar’s father can dispute the will, and the family is well within their rights to object. Ned says, they will be. Shiloh says there’s one person they haven’t spoken to – Oscar’s mother. He knows the family is well-intentioned, but they were only around for Oscar’s final years. His mother was there from the beginning. She carried him, and raised him, and she knew his heart. He stands in front of Kim – who looks miserable – and asks if she really wants to second guess her son’s dying wish.

Mac says Harmony has lied before. Why should they believe her now? She says she has no incentive; no one to protect. She’s willing to tell the truth about everything, starting with Sam. Shiloh had been stalking her for years. Daisy took the blame for the emails he sent. She took the fall, like she took the blame for the drugged tea, and Carol took the blame for the drugs given to Douglas, but it was a lie. Carol had nothing to do with it. Shiloh is the one who killed him. Robert says, sounds convincing, but in the end, it’s still her word against Shiloh’s. Harmony says she has proof.

Hayden and Finn sit at the MetroCourt. Hayden asks why they couldn’t talk at the hospital, and he says he didn’t want to give a show to the nurses’ station. He thought they could sit a minute. She doesn’t have to talk, but there’s something he needs to say to her about the child they lost. She says, time heals all wounds. Should they leave at that, and move on? He asks if that’s the way she wants it. She nods, and he asks if she wants to hear from him. She says she’s knows he’s engaged to Anna. He asks how, and she says it’s all over social media, and her sister told her. He says funny how Elizabeth said they weren’t in touch. Why ask her to lie? Hayden says she wanted to keep up with the news in Port Charles without seeming to pry. Finn asks why she cares.

Elizabeth sees Lucas, and asks about Wiley. Lucas says he’s amazing, exhausting, and everywhere all at once. She tells him that Aiden won an award, and he says, good for her, standing up for her son. She protected him when he needed it. Elizabeth says every day is a new challenge. Wait until Wiley goes to school, and then becomes a teenager. Lucas says he can’t wait. She asks if Wiley is okay.

Obrecht tells Franco between the antibiotics and champagne, she’s out of sorts. Not that she didn’t enjoy it, but too much foolish talk. Forgive her. She was under the influence. He says she’s trying so hard to convince him, it can only mean what she said was true. What was she trying to tell him about Wiley’s real father? Chase comes in, and says he’s there to take her report. There was an attempt on her life?

Harmony says she had special knowledge of DOD. She was Shiloh’s closest associate, handling the finances, and helping to raise money. Not a dollar here and there; he targeted deep pockets. They would  skim cash off the top, and put it in tax free off-shore accounts, and use it for payoffs. Robert asks who they were paying off, and she says, the Beecher’s Corners PD and elected officials. Shiloh liked to have high level people in his pocket, and have friends in high places. She made copies of the books, and put them in a secure place. Robert says Shiloh can claim she doctored them. He needs something that more directly links Shiloh to the crime. Jason says, how about a prescription?

Kim tells Shiloh that she hasn’t forgotten how he helped Oscar when they thought they’d failed him. Oscar forgave them, and came to understand how much they loved him. She recently heard disgusting things about him and DOD. Now he wants to profit off Oscar’s goodness and naivete toward him. Shiloh is sorry how they all feel. Once again, he’s the only one listening to Oscar’s wishes. He asks where he signs, but Michael says he doesn’t. Oscar’s bequest is invalid.

Hayden tells Finn that her sister and family are there, as well as him and Curtis. He asks if she cares about him, and she says it seems like they both landed on their feet. She doesn’t want to talk right now, but would love to have dinner with him there. She needs to check Jax’s schedule, and asks Finn to give her dates he and Anna will be available. He says it’s a kind gesture, but unnecessary. Anna is out of town, and will be for a while.

Lucas tells Elizabeth, Wiley is fine, perfect, a blessing. It’s just that there may be an issue with his birth parents. Elizabeth thought the adoption was final, and he says so did they. There was an unexpected complication. She says, no wonder Brad was so sick. She tells him that she’s sorry, but don’t assume the worst. They have Alexis on their side. She’s a great attorney, and passionate about family and parents. He says he’s grateful for that. He’s usually rational with problem solving, but this time he can’t be. Wiley has completely changed his life, and Lucas doesn’t know what he’d do if he lost him.

Chase tells Obrecht that the PCPD takes a dim view of false alarms. Did someone push her or did she fall?

Jason says, on August 4th, Douglas Miller died of an OD. Robert says it’s a matter of public record, and Jason says on August 4th, Harmony’s daughter said she was going to meet her father. Did anyone else know? She says, Shiloh was with Kelly when her father called, and told Harmony that Kelly was to be initiated that same night. Robert asks her to review what initiated means. She says initiated to Shiloh’s Trust, his inner circle. Initiates were tattooed with his mark, then he’d have sex with them. Robert asks if she approved of this, and Harmony says completely. She pressured Kelly to cancel, so she could participate. Kelly was reluctant, but agreed. Jason asks when the initiation began, and Harmony says, 9 pm. He asks where Shiloh was, and she says he escorted the initiate to the ceremony, per tradition, and wished her a joyous transformation, telling her that he’d be with her after. Then he left. Jason asks for how long? and she says, until midnight, also tradition. Then he was left alone with the initiate. Mac says, a three hour window, and Harmony says, plenty of time to kill Douglas.

Michael tells Shiloh that Oscar made a separate provision for the Kilimanjaro Foundation. It sponsors teens who can’t reach the mountain on their own. Shiloh says, that’s not what his will said, and Michael says,it was written by hand, and given to Oscar’s executor. Shiloh says he’s making up some kind of fairytale. He can’t prove it. Michael says the original is on file with the court. Alexis says, excellent. She’ll coordinate with Diane. Shiloh says the shares were left to him, and Ned says he’ll need to make that argument before a judge. Alexis says, probate finds a handwritten request after a will is filed takes precedence. A final testament supersedes any previous documents. Shiloh says they’re delaying the inevitable. Oscar was of sound mind when he made the bequest. Why cause his mother undo pain? Grant Oscar’s dying wish. Monica says he doesn’t speak for her grandson. She tells him to get out of her house before she calls the police, and has him arrested for trespassing. Kim says, just go. Shiloh’s phone rings, and he answers on his way out the door. He says the test results are in? He’s on his way to the hospital. Things are only getting better. I laugh, and say, yeah, for everyone else.

Jason asks what Harmony did when Shiloh was arrested. She says she went to one of the faithful, Carol, and said Shiloh wanted to see her. She drove Carol to the jail herself, but Carol went in alone. When she came out, she confessed. Jason asks where Carol was that night, and Harmony says, at her daughter’s initiation with the rest of the Trust. He asks if she had access to the drug. Harmony says, no, and he asks if anyone else did. She says, Shiloh and herself. They put it in the tea meant to calm the initiates and lower their resistance. Jason asks how they got it, and she says, the pharmacy. Shiloh had a prescription under his real name, David Henry Archer. Judith shows Robert a copy of the prescription, saying it was on file at the pharmacy, in addition to all the times it was refilled. Sam says they needed a corroborating witness; now they’ve got it. Harmony has backed up what Carol said. Judith says Harmony is willing to testify in court. Robert asks what she wants in exchange. Judith starts talking about dropping the charges, but Harmony says she doesn’t want anything. She wronged her own daughter. She won’t stand by and let Shiloh get away with murder, and she won’t let him get near her grandson. Do what they want with her. Just stop Shiloh.

Hayden tells Finn that she should be going. She has a business meeting. Finn says the letter she left for Curtis to find. She wrote about the baby they lost, and not to look for her. She say she’s sorry for the way she handled it; it wasn’t fair. At the time, it seemed like the kindest alternative. Finn says a year later, she sent another letter asking him to meet her in Rome. She had something to share. What was it?

Obrecht tells Chase that she thinks she was pushed. Chase says, she thinks? She says she remembers standing by the rail, looking at the water. She heard footsteps, there was a hand banging in her back, and she fell into the harbor. Chase says he needs more specifics. Did she see a face? She says they came from behind. He wonders what their motive would be, and asks if she got in an argument. Obrecht says she has a big personality. It inspires awe and envy. He says he’ll go down the list of people on the ship at the time of the incident. Nina. Obrecht says, absolutely not. He says Franco and Elizabeth, and she says, don’t be ridiculous. Finn, Curtis, and Jax. She says they saved her life. Cameron, Josslyn, and Trina. She says she was told they went for help, after throwing her a life preserver. Bobbie, Felix, and Epiphany. She doubts they’d do anything so extreme. None of the others would have a reason to harm her, and he says that’s everyone except Hayden. Obrecht says, Hayden was there? It must have been her. Hayden hates her.

Elizabeth asks how Obrecht is, and Franco says she’s back to her usual self, spinning everything. She’s trying to downplay what she said about Wiley. Elizabeth says Lucas is worried about an issue with the birth parents. One wants Wiley back. Franco says Obrecht keeps hinting at a secret. She knows something about the real father, but what?

Harmony gets put in a cell opposite Willow, who asks what she’s doing there. Harmony says she’s being held until she can give her statement. Hopefully, Willow won’t be there much longer. Willow says Harmony is different. What changed? Harmony says she opened her eyes to who Shiloh is and what he’s done to Willow and her father. She’s so ashamed, but maybe she can begin to make amends before it’s too late. Before Shiloh gets his hands on her grandson. Willow doesn’t understand, and Harmony says she’d do anything to talk to Willow’s dad; tell him she’s sorry, and he was right. But it’s not too late to do what Willow wants, to stand up for her, and protect her grandson. She failed Willow her whole life. She promises she won’t do it again.

Robert says he’ll notify the state police to protect Carol. Mac says he’ll get out an arrest warrant for Shiloh. Sam says, what about Jason? and Robert says, the charges are dropped. Jason tells Sam she did good, and she says, no, he did. He sounded like a lawyer. He says he spent a lot of time with Diane. He hopes enough to put Shiloh in jail.

Shiloh sees Lucas, and says, it must be fate. Lucas asks what he wants, and Shiloh says, the same as Lucas – what’s best for Wiley. He’ll have to get rid of that name. He suggests they make the transfer easy. Lucas says there isn’t going to be one. He and Brad are Wiley’s fathers. Shiloh says the DNA test will tells a different story. Lucas asks how he had one run without permission. Shiloh says, Brad carelessly dropped a cloth he used to wipe Wiley’s mouth. He wants Lucas to get Wiley’s stuff together. Once he gets the results, he’s taking his son home. Lucas will probably be happy, but really confounded when he finds out the results.

Elizabeth tells Franco, it makes no sense for Obrecht to know anything about Wiley’s birth father. He says she has a talent for uncovering secrets, and a talent covering them by lying. Elizbeth says maybe she’s making it up because she feels bad. Her being involved with Brad and Lucas is a disaster waiting to happen.

Hayden tells Finn, she was surrounded by lovers in Rome, and admits she missed him. She wondered if he felt the same way, and thought if they met at the Trevi fountain, like in the movies, they could try again. He never came, so she threw in her coins, and went on her way. She met Jax. They worked together, and she heard about his engagement. Finn says, even after all this time… Chase interrupts. He introduces himself to Hayden, and says they need to talk.

Ned says the Kilimanjaro Foundation is a double gift. They’ll help the kids, and it will keep the ELQ shares out of Shiloh’s hands. Alexis says she and Diane can create postponements and delays, and keep it out of probate for at least a year. Kim says everyone is going on about the stock, and they don’t give a damn that Oscar is gone. She leaves the room. Michael tells Monica he can’t let Shiloh get his hands on his godson. He wants to claim Wiley.

Willow tells Harmony, maybe when this is over, they could start fresh. Harmony says she still has a sentence in Pentonville that she has to serve. Willow says, maybe she’ll get a deal, and Harmony says, maybe. It could be worse, she and her roommate Nelle get along. it helps the time go by. Willow says, did she say Nelle?

Michael calls Jason, who apologizes for not being there. He asks how it went. Michael says, Oscar gave his ELQ shares to Shiloh. Jason says, that’s got to be a mistake. He clearly endowed them to the Kilimanjaro Foundation. Diane already started the paperwork, and can tie him up for years. Michael says, unfortunately, he’s winning in other areas. He’s on his way to get DNA test results as they speak. Jason knows what that means. Jason says he’s one it. Sam asks, what? and Jason tells her, Shiloh’s other card came into play.

Lucas tells Shiloh to take his threats and go. Shiloh says it’s his legal right as a parent. Lucas says Wiley is already with his parents, and they’re never letting him go. Shiloh says they won’t have a choice. He gives the reception nurse his ID, and Lucas watches as she hands him the envelope with the results.

Tomorrow, Nina wonders what the deal is with Hayden, Willow has great news, and Chase asks how Finn knows Hayden.

The Real Housewives of New York City – The Reunion – Part One

Season 11? It’s really been on that long? The women get ready, and Andy makes the rounds to chat with them. Bethenny tells Andy that her lawyer says, anything can happen in a courtroom, and anything can happen at a reunion.

Andy welcomes us to put the final touches on a masterpiece of a season. Sonja is wearing her own design, and I’ll say it again, she makes nice clothing. Everyone looks fabulous – the earrings are exceptional – but I’m not loving Ramona’s neckline. She might as well be wearing only sleeves on top.

LuAnn is up first. Andy reminds her that she wasn’t at the last reunion, and says everyone had a lot of opinions about her this season. How’s her head? LuAnn says, her head is humble. We all stifle a laugh. She says she was totally self-absorbed this season, and she owns it. She was trying to take care of herself in the best way she could. She didn’t realize how different it would be. It’s hard to be around these women and not drink. She was in self-protection mode. Bethenny starts to say something, but Andy says they’re going to discuss the topic later. We find out Tinsley has a line of lashes, and Ramona got new teeth. Andy says people don’t realize that Dennis came to the last several reunions. Bethenny says he liked minutiae. Andy asks if she thought of him when she came in, and she says he’s always on her mind. LuAnn says he adored Bethenny, and Bethenny says she misses that. Andy says it’s been a big year for everyone, and they have a lot to discuss.

Andy tells us, home where heart is, but it can also be where the heartache is. Half the women pulled up roots, and planted themselves in new ground. We see clips of Sonja’s new apartment. We flash back to Ramona saying she needs something fresh, and Dorinda says she needs a fresh start. We revisit Dorinda saying her new place is the first thing in twenty-five years that’s all hers, and telling John to hold off on bringing in any stuff. Last is LuAnn, saying she has photographers in the bushes in the Hamptons, and she loves it upstate. We see her new house as well. Andy asks what was LuAnn’s reaction to Ramona saying Kingston was the poor side of town? LuAnn says it’s what Ramona does. When they went to Marrakesh, she thought it wasn’t upscale enough. She’s always putting everything down. That’s Ramona. Ramona tells LuAnn that her real estate friend said he won’t look at Kingston for another fifteen years, so LuAnn is ahead of the curve. Tinsley is reminded that she said living there would drive her to drink. Tinsley says she just likes more action.

Andy says LuAnn talked about being too high profile in the Hamptons. Bethenny says she’s said before that LuAnn has a God complex, and delusions of grandeur. Bethenny walks around the Hamptons in her PJs, and there are plenty of high profile celebrities there, but LuAnn as photographers popping out of the bushes. It’s a reach. When Bethenny was there, LuAnn thought there were people going by in boats with cameras, when it was just people going by in boats. She was paranoid, and everyone would have seen those pictures by now. We see a few snaps of LuAnn going to her mailbox, but not from someone going by in a boat. Bethenny says, Madonna doesn’t seem to have a problem. LuAnn says, when you’re arrested, you become popular.

Andy asks Sonja how things with the townhouse are going, and she says she’s renting it for $36K. Dorinda asks how’s her new place? and Sonja says she’s happy. A viewer asks about Dorinda saying her new place is just for her. What does that mean for her relationship with John? Dorinda says, it works. They see each other two or three times a week, and he goes home. She’s been living with someone else most of her life, and it doesn’t mean they don’t have sex. Thanks for the visual. Ramon says that makes it more fresh. Andy asks about Ramona’s house, and she says she took an offer, but still needs the contract signed. She’s lowered the price, and could have held out, but it’s not life-changing. She blurts out her new potential address, which is bleeped, and Bethenny says, single men, come on by.

Andy says along with grappling with losing a soulmate, Bethenny has a booming business, and looming court case. And she’s leaned into life after death. We see clips of her talking about Dennis, including talking to a grief counselor. He tells her loving someone else is a testament to her love for Dennis. We also flash back to the different issues Bethenny has faced, like Suckerfish Hoppy, and wanting to sell the business. We see her telling Sonja that being near death was a wake-up call. She’s changing her life. The montage ends with her telling Albi about Dennis trying to pull her in. Andy says, wow. A lot of tears. He says it’s been almost a year since Dennis passed, and asks how she’s doing. Bethenny says she’s well. It comes in waves, and delayed reactions, but she’s moved away from it. She loved him deeply, but doesn’t know if she’d be in the place she is now if he was still there. Andy says they’d broken up, yet he was still a large presence in her life. Bethenny says they broke up many times, but he was always in her life. He’d say he’s change, and she’d get pulled back in. She says, when you’re older, you don’t know if you’ll ever get your fairytale, and you already have kids, and don’t know if you should be dating. He was a secure presence. She could always be with him, but she wasn’t giving herself what she deserved. Dennis loved her daughter, so she wondered if she could do the Dorinda and John program. Andy asks what Dennis needed to change, and Bethenny says he couldn’t be present; he would disappear. Ramona says he was undependable. Bethenny tells Andy about ending up alone on Mother’s Day after he’d made plans for them. It made things worse, and she thought she’d rather be alone than in a relationship feeling alone. Andy brings up their engagement, and Bethenny says he proposed, and she accepted the ring. Andy says Dorinda seemed to be the one most there for her, but also thought she needed space. Dorinda says grief is an individual thing, and you need to do what you have to for yourself. Bethenny says she was in shock for a long time. It was hard to come back to the show. Dorinda says she felt more comfortable saying, this is bad, rather than do whatever you’re supposed to according to the manual. Andy asks LuAnn if it sparked thoughts about her own recovery. LuAnn says, no, but she was saddened. Even though she didn’t know him well, but he really helped her. Andy asks how Dennis helped her, but she says she can’t talk a lot about it. She’s still in it.

Bethenny says Dennis got LuAnn a very powerful lawyer, one of the most powerful in the country. He looked into her case, and helped her out. LuAnn said he was able to do things her lawyer couldn’t. LuAnn admits she hit him up for six million dollars. Bethenny says Dennis had a financial services company. She was in the car, and her phone was blowing up. LuAnn said it was an emergency, and begged Bethenny to ask Dennis for the money. She was in a manic state, and obsessing over the house. She was calling a lot of people. Bethenny said she thought Dennis had helped enough, and LuAnn moved on to the next person. LuAnn says that was all true.

A viewer asks about Bethenny seeing two other guys when she was seeing Dennis. Bethenny says she and Dennis would break up, and she was seeing them intermittently. Bethenny talks about the catering guy, who I forgot about, and says there was an age difference, and she wasn’t ready for that relationship. He was. We see a picture of them on the beach – the guy is gorgeous – and Bethenny says it was a hard pill for Dennis to swallow, seeing the photo. Dorinda says it was a hard pill for all of them to swallow, and they all laugh. Andy says Bethenny was in the midst of grieving, and got hot and heavy with Paul. Bethenny says she had told Tinsley that she liked him. Around Christmas they went on a date, and she thought she was an idiot, thinking he could be the one. They went out a couple of times, but she was too needy. She wanted someone to give her a guarantee that she wouldn’t get hurt. He courted her after Dennis died. It was great, since they had a history. They’re still together. Tinsley says she met up with Bethenny, and they met his parents, and everyone was really nice. Andy wonders why he’s not on the show, and Bethenny says he’s private, conservative, and reserved. He’s calm and balanced, but the show’s not for him. A viewer asks what’s the deal with Bethenny’s relationships on the show being on her terms, when she called out Tinsley for not being forthcoming? Bethenny says she actually thought about it, and if it’s a double-standard, but Scott signed a release. He also sent Tinsley those Kentucky Derby Secretariat flowers. We flash back to the giant heart Scott sent, and Tinsley reading the card – 365 roses for 365 days together. Tinsley says it’s Scott’s way of being part of the show without being part of the show. Andy asks Bethenny if she’d call Paul on camera, and Bethenny says, maybe, if it’s not on speaker. Tinsley admits she wanted Scott on the show, Bethenny says she’d rather Paul not be on it. Andy asks if Bethenny has sold the company. Bethenny says she’s had offers, but she gets nervous at the last minute. She believes the company hasn’t reached its full potential, so she let some high-salaried people go. She doesn’t like managing that many. She doesn’t want an operation.

Bethenny talks about her near-death experience, telling Andy about Dennis puling at her when she was on the stretcher. She says it wasn’t an intellectual thought, but she felt it. It was very him. The same way he’d see a picture of her with someone, and suddenly want to be engaged or take a trip, and she’s get pulled back. It’s metaphorical, but true. Andy asks if she felt guilty about getting involved with Paul so soon after Dennis passed, but she says, no. She thought about it, but Paul is a loving person. He literally saved her life emotionally. He respects boundaries, and even wanted to make sure she’s not making some kind of transference because of Dennis. One door closed, and another one opened. Dorinda says Paul freed Bethenny’s spirit. Ramona says she’s on a merry-go-round, and Bethenny says it’s a different ride this time. Andy says, a happier ride. Bethenny says that’s why she wanted Tinsley off her ride. She knew it was a train to nowhere.

We move on to Dorinda and LuAnn butting heads. We see clips of their ongoing issue throughout the season, including Jovani and the fish room. Dorinda says, it’s half of LuAnn’s show, between the dresses and taking the piss out of her castmates. Andy asks if Dorinda feels unappreciated, but Dorinda says, no. She thought she and LuAnn were in a good place. LuAnn spun out control, and went back to rehab. LuAnn asks what that has to do with it. Bethenny says Dorinda feels like LuAnn is exploiting it. Dorinda says she’s given LuAnn a lot of help. LuAnn wouldn’t have a dress if not for her. Sonja says Dorinda has constantly been there. Dorinda says she was there the first time LuAnn went to jail. LuAnn says Dorinda makes her feel like sh*t. She whines that Dorinda didn’t call her when she was in the Hamptons. Dorinda says, it’s kiss the ring again. She was visiting another friend. Andy thinks part of their issue is that things brought up the season before weren’t resolved at the end. LuAnn wasn’t at the last reunion, so they didn’t hash it out in that forum (i.e. the reunion). Dorinda says she wanted to see LuAnn when she came out of rehab, but her friend of thirteen years did everything to avoid her. Andy says, in all fairness, it was Bethenny who suggested Dorinda not go to the clambake, Bethenny says she was worried about LuAnn’s sobriety. Dorinda says LuAnn hasn’t been nice to a lot of them. Even the comments, like they’re jealous. Dorinda doesn’t feel like LuAnn has any substance anymore.

Dorinda says LuAnn’s life has been one big Cabaret with the Countess. LuAnn says she’s the same old Lu, they’re just looking at her with different eyes. A viewer asks what LuAnn thought when she saw how upset Dorinda was. LuAnn says she was upset too, because everything’s all about her. Dorinda says she was arrogant, and LuAnn says she was slow to warm up because she was hurt. She’s sorry about how Dorinda felt, and misses their friendship. Andy mentions the Tyler Perry quote, and asks LuAnn if Tyler Perry isn’t capable of deep thought. LuAnn says, of course. She just thought it was funny. I have to agree with her here. The were expecting to see the quote was from the Dalai Lama or at least Confucius. Dorinda says LuAnn decided she can’t do anything right after she stood by LuAnn like a soldier. She starts to cry, and LuAnn say she did, but then Dorinda let her down. Dorinda says she gave LuAnn a prayer card that she’s had since her First Communion. LuAnn treated her like an animal, and broke her heart. LuAnn says Dorinda did the same to her. How does Dorinda think she felt when she heckled her?  Dorinda says by not inviting John to her show, she took another person Dorinda loved and pissed on them. LuAnn says she did invite John. She’d said he’s always welcome. Sonja confirms this, and LuAnn says she brought her phone, aka the receipts.

Andy says, while LuAnn looks for those texts, Leslie from Burbank gives the definition of heckle, interrupting with loud, unfriendly statements or questions. She wants to know why Dorinda claims she didn’t heckle LuAnn. Dorinda insists it wasn’t heckling; that she was joyous in her shouting Jovani! but everyone is like, no, except For Ramona, who just sits there smiling with her new teeth. They all talk at the same time, which I hate. LuAnn finds the text, and Andy reads out loud. In a nutshell, LuAnn did say he was invited, but was then invited by a third party, doesn’t want to go now, and is somehow pissed at Dorinda. LuAnn said, not her problem, and Dorinda said she was excited for the evening. Dorinda’s foot in pumping up and down like crazy, so you know she got caught. At the end, LuAnn said she wanted it to be a girls night anyway, and no one is bringing dates. Dorinda somehow thinks this vindicates her. Andy says the verdict is she did invite John, but said it’s not her problem. LuAnn says it was the day of her show, and she was nervous. Andy says that’s show biz.

Andy asks what was with the demands when LuAnn was in the Berkshires. A viewer wonders if LuAnn saw it as an opportunity for Dorinda to make things up to her. LuAnn says, no, but it looked that way when she watched it. Andy asks if LuAnn realizes Dorinda was bending over backward for her. LuAnn says Dorinda was a gracious hostess. Andy asks about her insensitive reaction to the fish room, and LuAnn says she was just trying to keep her sh*t together at that point, and overreacted. Bethenny thinks LuAnn was relishing Dorinda’s apology. She wanted Dorinda to bend down and really apologize.

LuAnn says she saw herself on TV, and she felt cold about her own behavior. She couldn’t cry, or feel any kind of emotion. She was kind of numb. She doesn’t want to say she had it rougher in the past year – they all have their sh*t – but it’s been a hard time for her. She’s not excusing her behavior, but just saying she felt cold. She hugs Dorinda, and they sound like they’re underwater for a moment, LuAnn says Dorinda was so angry. Dorinda says she wasn’t angry. She was confused. They had been so close. LuAnn say she misses it. Dorinda says they can put a period on it, and move on, even though their friendship might take a different form. Looking back, she thinks LuAnn was nervous. She was still making the transition after her recovery period. Dorinda thought it was brave of her to go at all. Maybe she was looking for a loophole to get out. Bethenny says it was very human.

Andy says since they’re good, he doesn’t want to go backward, He asks LuAnn if she thought giving Dorinda an award in her cabaret show was going to go over big. LuAnn says she was trying to find a way to shift the narrative. She wanted to make it funny. Andy asks if Dorinda really talked to a lawyer, and she says she did. She’s over the Jovani thing. Do they have shares in it or something? Andy, ever stirring the pot, says, hit LuAnn’s new track. The sounds of Feelin’ Jovani fill the air. While LuAnn keeps saying it should be louder, mercifully, it’s kept at a reasonable volume. It still goes on too long, and LuAnn sings along with herself. Dorinda says she likes it, and gets dressed to LuAnn’s tunes in the morning. LuAnn says cabaret is her cabernet. LuAnn says getting on stage is the diversion she needs, since she’s not drinking.  It’s helped her so much. She doesn’t know what she’d do without it.

Andy says everyone is happy and reconciled. It’s a long night, and he hopes they can keep it up.

Next time – Part Two – the fish room returns, Tinsley and Scott’s relationship is discussed, Ramona thinks LuAnn is still drinking, Barbara joins the women, and Andy feels like he’s at a Jersey Wives reunion.

😮 Oh No He… Did He?

I saw a clip of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Reunion. I can’t be positive, since they show preview teases out of context, but it sure looked like Andy was throwing huge shade at Teddi. He said, for someone who is the queen of accountability, it’s amazing you had such a lapse. Oooh! Girl! I wonder if he’s pissed because LVP quit.
