September 21, 2023 – Willow Gets Sam Some Crucial Information, Don’t Hang Out With Friends’ Exes & Road

Standard

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Eddie/Ned works on his song, when Brook peeks around the corner. She says she was wondering if the coast is clear; no granny sightings. He says, no. Tracy isn’t here. If he’s playing his guitar, Brook can rest assured Tracy is nowhere in the vicinity. She’s having a hard time wrapping her head around the fact that he’s Eddie, not Ned. (Confession: I prefer him as Eddie and hope Ned never comes back.) Brook says, Tracy gave her an earful yesterday about the evils of the music industry, and he says he bets she did. He hopes Brook didn’t listen to her. She says, not even close. She actually has an important meeting today, and if all goes well, he’ll be looking at a successful music manager.

Olivia sits at her desk and flashes back to being at The Savoy with Eddie. She smiles, when there’s a knock at the door. Anna says she’s sorry to interrupt, but Olivia says, not at all. She’s just waking up from a late night at The Savoy. What brings Anna by this morning? Anna wonders if she would be allowed to look at the security footage from the corridor outside the suite where they were staying, and Olivia asks, why? Anna says, because of the break-in? and Olivia says, what break-in?

Nina tells Valentin that Charlotte is still sleeping, and he asks how she was after he left last night. Nina says, she was fine. She stayed in her room after he left. (What happened to the sleepover?) He says, good, and thanks her. She says, Charlotte is welcome here anytime, and he says he knows. He just didn’t give her much of a heads up and he appreciates it. It gave him a chance to make some arrangements. She says, arrangements for what? What is he going to do about Charlotte targeting Anna?

On the phone, Carly says she accepts the charges, and Drew is put through. She asks if Drew is staying safe, and he says he’s doing his best. She says she misses him, and he says he misses her too. She asks how it’s going. Does he have any news or information for her to give to Sonny? He says, not yet. He’s still working on it. Cyrus listens through a door that’s open a crack.

Diane meets Robert at the MetroCourt, and he says, the delightful Miss Miller. She says, flattery will get him everywhere, and he says he sees she’s ready for work. She reminds him that he said it was a working breakfast, and he agrees he did. They sit, and she asks what case they’re working on, and he says he may have found a way to help Drew, and he gets to see her at the same time. She says, either way, he has her attention.

Dressed in scrubs, Willow goes to the hospital reception desk and hugs Deanna. Deanna says, it’s so good to see her, and Willow says she’s thought about this day a lot, especially during her treatments. She used to watch the nurses and thought about working alongside them again. Now she finally is. Deanna says, yes, she is, and everyone on staff couldn’t be happier to have her back with them. They really missed her. She thanks Deanna and says she missed them too. The phone rings, and Deanna says, her first call back. Does she want to take that? Willow says, absolutely, and answers the phone, 10th floor nurses’ station.

As Sam comes out of the hospital elevator, her phone rings. She asks where Dante is at, and he says he’s working on getting Gladys’s bank records. Hopefully, soon. She says, what about the toxicology report? but he says, that’s going to take a little bit longer. She says, that’s time Sasha doesn’t have.

Drew tells Carly that he asked around and put out some feelers, but unfortunately, he doesn’t have anything yet. She says, be careful, please. If he feels like it’s getting dangerous, she wants him to back off. He says he will, and she says, promise her. He says he promises. Now enough about him. How is she? She says she’s doing fine, except he’s not here, and he says he knows. How are the girls? She says, Donna and Josslyn are doing great. What about him? Has he seen Scout and Sam? He says, Scout just started school. She’s really busy. She’s got homework, soccer practice, and swim lessons, so he hasn’t seen much of her, but he guesses that’s probably for the best. She says she has Diane working every angle to get him out of there, but until then, he can’t cut himself off from the people who love him, especially Scout.

Diane asks what Robert’s sleuthing skills have sussed so far, and he says he did a bit of checking on Judge Kim. It seems he’s pushing for a promotion to the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. She says, being tough on major crime would endear him to the Second Circuit Court, but why go after somebody like Drew and give him an overly harsh sentence? He says, forget about Drew. Think about Drew’s girlfriend and her ex-husband. Diane says, once again, all roads lead to Sonny.

Anna tells Olivia that she and Valentin were supposed to have dinner in the hotel restaurant last night. They changed their minds and decided to order room service. Then by the time they got to the suite, someone had broken in. Olivia says, what? and Anna says she filed a report with the PCPD. Olivia says she’s so sorry this happened to Anna at her hotel, but Anna says, it’s not her fault. Olivia says, this is the first she’s hearing of this. Which is very strange. Nina is usually very good with her in communicating hotel business. Anna wonders if Nina left a message somewhere, and Olivia says, it’s possible, but Nina didn’t communicate with her directly. As she said, she was very distracted last night. Maybe Nina left a message on her business line. She just wants to apologize on behalf of the MetroCourt Hotel. If there’s anything at all she can do for Anna… She assumes Anna’s been moved to a different suite. Anna says, yes. Olivia’s staff were great. They were moved almost immediately. She’s fine; she really is. Olivia asks if Anna has any idea who would do this to her, and Anna says, it’s possibly the same person who burned her house. Olivia says she’s sorry. If there’s anything Anna needs, she’s here for her. Anna says, there is something she can do, and Olivia says, name it. Anna says, the security footage. She was told it’s missing. She just wanted to make sure there’s no misunderstanding. Olivia says, they have a state-of-the-art security system; she can assure Anna that. Anna says, if she could access the footage… but if it is missing, maybe Olivia could pull it up from another source, like the mainframe server. Olivia asks, about what time did the break-in happen? and Anna tells her, she’d say between 7 and 9 pm. Olivia looks on the computer, and Anna says, what she’d like is the footage from outside the suite and also the surrounding area. Olivia tells her, don’t worry.

Valentin tells Nina, first, he’d like to keep Charlotte close. He needs to keep a watchful eye on her. He’s been distracted. He’s obviously neglected her. Nina says, distracted, maybe; neglecting her, no. He says his daughter is running around doing God knows what. She’s a child. That’s something he’s obviously forgotten. He needs to spend more time with her. She says, he’s always put Charlotte first, and he says, has he? Because he doesn’t think Charlotte feels that way. And now she’s targeting Anna for his absence. Nina says, his daughter is going to need more than more time with her dad. At some point, he’s going to have to confront her about everything she’s done. He says he knows, but first, he needs to know the extent of his daughter’s crimes.

Sam tells Dante, if they could get the bank statements, it could provide circumstantial evidence, but she bets those statements aren’t going to show that Gladys withdrew a ton of Sasha’s money. It was probably taken out in cash. Dante says, right. If Gladys was paying Montague in cash, they won’t be able to prove it. That means the only thing they have tying him to Sasha, keeping her in Ferncliff, and almost killing her is Cody. She says, no one is going to believe Cody, and he says, the other option is to try and prove that Montague was giving Sasha mood-altering drugs. She says, one step at a time. First, they need to prove there was a drug and get the toxicology report. She looks over at Willow, and says she thinks she has a way to get it.

Eddie suggests Brook tell him about her meeting. He could use a distraction. Lyrics just aren’t flowing for him this morning. She sits next to him, and says, there’s this amazing singer. Her name is Blaze. She’s a total rising star, and Brook wants to be the one to take her to the top. She is an incredible talent, like Beyonce level (very debatable). He says, wow, she must really be something, and Brook says she wouldn’t be signing Blaze if she wasn’t special. He asks if she’s already agreed to work with Brook, and she says, not exactly. They’re actually meeting today, and she’s going to give Blaze the full court press on why she should sign with her. He says, if she’s smart, she would take the deal. Brook’s got a lot going for her. She says, if all goes well, maybe she can represent him. What does he think? He says he’s not sure she’d want him. Marshall Ashford called this morning and offered him a gig at The Savoy tonight. She says, that’s great, and he says, it is, but he kind of promised Marshall that he’d finish this song, and he’s not going to finish this new song, so his music career could be over before it even started.

Olivia says, it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Anna was right. The file containing the footage from noon to midnight is missing from the area around Anna’s suite. It’s like it’s been wiped from the server. Anna asks if it could be a computer glitch, but Olivia says, this is the first time that’s ever happened. Anna says, who else has access to the server it’s stored on? and Olivia says, her and Nina. Hotel security can get the security footage, but they can’t have access to the server. Anna asks how long they typically keep the security footage, and Olivia says, three years before it’s deleted. Anna says, obviously whoever broke into her suite hacked into the hotel’s system and deleted themselves breaking in, and Olivia says, this does not sound like a random break-in. This is obviously a professional job. Anna says, it does imply whoever’s after her is somewhat sophisticated.

Valentin says, the first thing he needs to know is if Charlotte burned Anna’s house, and Nina says she can’t imagine Charlotte would do that to anyone, let alone Anna. He says he wishes this was a mistake, some sort of misunderstanding, and Nina says, not in a million years did she think Charlotte would break into Anna’s room, trash the place, destroy her clothes, and leave a threatening message. But they saw the security footage. Where was Charlotte when Anna’s house burned? He says, she was at camp. It’s an hour away, but she could have taken a Ride Share. Nina asks if he keeps track of her Ride Share history. Does he keep track of her spending? He shakes his head and says he thought he did. He’s so stupid. She tells him not to blame himself for any of this, and he says he sent her to live with Sam and Dante. Who knows what she tells them he’s okay with or not okay with? He has no idea what she’s up to when he’s not around.

Drew says he wishes he could talk to Carly all day, when the guard taps him and looks at his watch. She says, her too, and he says he has to go. She says she loves him, and he says, same. He’ll talk to her soon. They say goodbye, and Guard Johnson approaches Drew. He asks if Drew was serious about getting his son that internship at Aurora, and Drew says 100%. Johnson says, that doctor Drew was asking about… Drew says, Gatlin-Holt, and Johnson says, yes, him.

Diane says she gets where Robert is going with this, and he says he figured she would. She says, it’s a fascinating theory. So Judge Kim hands Drew an overly harsh sentence, paving the way for the Justice Department to swoop in, provide Carly with a deal that will reduce Drew’s sentence, if and only if Carly flips on her ex-husband. Robert says, there’s nothing to indicate the Justice Department even knows what’s going on here. It could just be the work of some over-zealous judge who’s trying to score a few points. She says, either way, it could benefit Drew, and he says he loves the way she thinks. She thanks him, and asks if they should take this a step further, and he asks if they’re still talking about the case. She laughs and says, they are. Pure speculation. If Judge Kim is working on his advancement, the Justice Department might want to have his case reassigned to avoid even the appearance of impropriety. So her question for him is, where does she go to do a deep… Anna walks in, and Robert says he has to cut this short. Anna’s just arrived. He gets up and walks over to her.

Sam says, it’s good to see Willow back at the hospital, and Willow thanks her, and says she missed it. She spent a lot of time here as a patient; it’s nice to be back as a nurse. Sam says, they’re lucky to have her, and Willow asks if there’s anything she can help Sam with. Sam says she hates to hit Willow up on her first day, but she does need a favor. And it’s not for her. It’s for Sasha.

Anna says, in Robert’s message, he told her it’s important. What’s going on? He says she needs to see this for herself, and asks her to sit down in a nearby booth. He says he’ll join her in a minute. He’s going to get his briefcase and say goodbye to Diane. He tells Diane that he’s sorry, but they’ve got to cut this breakfast short. She says, he’s been very helpful, and he says, they’ll compare notes and do this some other time. She says she’s got it from here, and he says, breakfast is on him. He’ll make it up to her. She says, totally unnecessary, as she enjoys a piece of toast. He goes back to Anna, but Diane doesn’t look happy.

Brook tells Eddie that she knows what it’s like trying to finish a song. If the lyrics aren’t coming, you can’t force it. His gut will tell him when it’s the right time to finish. He says he appreciates it, but what is he going to sing tonight? Marshall and the crowd will be expecting a new song. She says, maybe he can break out some of the classics. You can never go wrong with those. He says he’ll figure something out. He hopes she’s going to be there. She says, absolutely. She wouldn’t miss it. She thinks there’s someone else who would like to go. Maybe he can give her a personal invitation. He thanks her for the advice, and says, she’s pretty sharp. That Blaze would be lucky to have her.

Olivia looks at the computer files and says, this can’t be right. Security back-up is even missing. She calls Nina, who says, what’s up? Olivia says, Anna Devane was just in her office. Anna was telling her all about the break-in in her suite last night. Does Nina know anything about this? Nina says, yeah. She’s sorry. When she found out about it, she meant to tell Olivia, but she got distracted by work. Olivia says, Anna asked to see the security footage from the area around her suite the night of the break-in and it’s missing from the server. She knows Nina was in her office last night. Is there any chance she tried to pull up footage and accidentally deleted it or something? Nina says, Olivia is right. She pulled up the footage, but it was already gone. Charlotte comes out, and Nina says, can they just talk about this when she gets to the office? She has to go. Bye.

Nina asks Charlotte how her night was in the guest room, and Charlotte says, where’s papa?

Dante leaves a message for Anna, and says he just read a report that there was a break-in in her suite. He kind of wishes he’d heard it from her, and not the police report, but give him a call when she gets a chance. Valentin comes into the interrogation room and says, he and Dante need to talk privately. It’s kind of important. Dante says, what about? and Valentin says, Charlotte.

Willow steps away from the desk and asks if Sam has heard from Sasha or Cody. Are they still together? Is Sasha okay? Sam says she can’t go into details right now, but there may be a way for Willow to help Sasha. Willow says, Sasha is one of her best friends. Sasha’s put herself on the line for her so many times. Willow will do whatever is needed. Sam says, she and Dante have a theory that Dr. Montague, the psychiatrist who was appointed to evaluate Sasha, has been drugging her; undermining her mental health and making her appear mentally ill. Willow says, that’s horrible. Why would a doctor do that? She’s sorry. Sam said she couldn’t go into details. It didn’t make sense that Sasha suddenly went off the deep end and stabbed Cody. Then being sent to Ferncliff. It seemed so extreme. What does Sam need her to do? Sam says, the first step is proving it. So she needs a copy of the toxicology report from the day Sasha stabbed Cody. Does Willow think she can access that?

Johnson says, the doctor Drew was asking about went to solitary, and Drew asks, why? Who was in solitary? Johnson says, Bobby Leonard. He attacked a guard, and that’s who the doctor was here seeing. Drew says, he was here seeing a guard? but Johnson says, no, Leonard. The guards beat him up pretty badly, so the warden wanted to keep it quiet. Drew says, that’s who Dr. Gatlin-Holt was here visiting? and Johnson says, he got his information right from the warden’s right hand. Drew asks if he was here to see anybody else, but Johnson says, one and done. Johnson starts to leave, but Drew says, wait a second.

Drew wonders why an inmate would attack a guard, and Johnson says, who knows? Maybe he did it to get drugs from the doctor. Drew would be surprised what a lot of guys would do around here to get drugs. That’s all he’s got. He doesn’t know what else to tell Drew. Drew thanks him, and moves on. Cyrus comes out, and tells Johnson, well done. He thanks Johnson, and says, his son Keith will be well taken care of. He’ll get far more than an internship at Aurora.

Robert takes a box tied with a ribbon from his briefcase, and hands it to Anna. She asks what it is, and he tells her to open it. She says, he’s not the gift giving type, but he says, this is not the time to editorialize. Just open it. He rubs his hands together, and she says, it’s not even her birthday. He says, a lot of people went to a lot of trouble to get this here. She’s going to love it. She opens the box and sees a digital photo frame. He says, like it? and she asks what he did. Across the room, Diane doesn’t look amused.

Willow gets on the computer at the desk, and pulls up the toxicology report. She looks around, then takes a picture of it with her phone. Willow looks closer and sees Sasha tested positive for fluoxetine and dextroamphetamine. She switches the screen back, and sends the report to Sam. She asks if Sam got it, and Sam says she did. Great. Willow says, Sam was right. This is bad.

Nina and Charlotte go into Kelly’s, and Carly asks Charlotte, how’s school so far? Charlotte says, it’s going okay, and Nina says, they had a little sleepover, and of course (🍷) she has nothing in her kitchen for them to make breakfast. And even if her refrigerator was fully stocked, they’d still get a better breakfast here. Carly says, that’s Kelly’s. Everybody’s home away from home. She asks if Charlotte wants the usual, and Nina says, she has a usual? Charlotte says she has French toast when she and Jake have breakfast here, and Carly says, extra cinnamon? Charlotte says, please, and Nina flashes back to Valentin asking where Charlotte’s been, and Charlotte saying she was with Jake. She remembers Charlotte saying, they were at the promenade, and since she was close, she decided to visit papa; and Charlotte showing them pictures. Carly says, Nina? and Nina says she’s sorry. Crimson has her very distracted lately. Carly asks if Nina wants to order something.

Valentin tells Dante that he and Charlotte have been a apart for far too long. Charlotte made him realize that last night when she showed up at Anna’s hotel suite. Dante asks if it was after the break-in, and Valentin says, that’s why he wanted her to spend the night at Nina’s. They’re still pretty close, and he wanted Charlotte to feel assured. Going forward, he wants her to feel safe and secure, so he’s taking steps for the two of them to live together again full-time. Dante says, okay. That’s great. She misses him. Valentin says he’s grateful to Dante and Sam; they’ve been terrific. But he has a lot of time to make up for now. Dante says, maybe he could let her come by and visit every once in a while. Her and Rocco were getting along pretty good. Valentin says, believe him. He knows now more than ever how important family is to Charlotte. He gets up to leave, and Dante asks, what are his thoughts on that break-in? Valentin says he thinks whoever’s done this is trying to unsettle Anna (how astute!), and he thinks they’ve succeeded. He leaves.

Brook calls Blaze and says, they’re all set. She just wanted to call and let Blaze know she’s looking forward to their meeting. This could be the start of something really great. She’ll see her soon.

On the phone, Olivia says she wants to know what happened to the footage from last night… It didn’t just disappear. How did someone get into her security system and just take down the security footage… Eddie comes to the door, and she motions him in. She says she doesn’t want to hear any excuses. The MetroCourt Hotel pays their company a small fortune to take care of this stuff that’s supposed to be secure. She wants to know what the hell happened and she wants to know who’s responsible… Yes. She slams the phone down, and says, what? Eddie says, bad time?

Charlotte goes to wash her hands, and Carly says she’ll get Nina a menu. Carly asks if Charlotte comes in here frequently, and Carly says, she’s been here a few times since she got back from camp. Nina asks if she’s usually alone or with someone, and Carly asks why she wants to know so much about Charlotte. Nina says, Valentin wants to know too. He’s curious as to what his daughter is doing since they spend so much time apart. Carly says, she’s with Dante and Sam; she’s fine. Nina says she knows Charlotte’s fine, but Carly’s raised a teenage daughter. She knows they don’t tell their parents everything, especially fathers, and that is what Valentin is facing with Charlotte. Carly says she’s seen Charlotte in here with Jake a few times, and Nina asks if she’s ever alone. Carly says, maybe once or twice, and Nina says, ever with anyone else? but Carly says she’s only seen her with Jake, that’s it. Nina thanks her, and Charlotte joins them. She asks if they’re talking about her.

Sam finds Dante, and he asks if she has something. She shows him her phone and says, read it and weep. It’s really bad. But this is the first step in proving Montague was drugging Sasha.

Diane watches Anna and Robert as she waits for the elevator. Robert tells Anna, press that and look at the pictures. She says she’s treasuring the moment, and he says, that’s what the pictures are for. Diane gets in the elevator, and Robert says, look at number two. Anna sees photos from their wedding and starts to cry. We see photos of her over the years, some with Robert, some with other people, while there’s a song part.

Olivia tells Eddie that she’s sorry. That was very rude and she doesn’t want to seem unwelcoming. She’s got a lot going on at work today. He says he can see that. She looks intense. Is work always this stressful for her? She says, he’s passionate about his music, and she’s passionate about her hotel. He says, fair enough. Speaking of his music… She asks if he finished the song, but he says, no, but the end will come to him eventually. She says, when it does, she knows it’s going to be spectacular, and he says, one can only hope. But he did take another step forward in his music career. She says, how so? and he says, Marshall Ashford is as good as his word. Marshall called him this morning and asked him to perform at The Savoy. She gets all excited and asks, when? He says, tonight, and she throws her arms around him, saying, that’s great news. She backs up and says, that’s really great news. Congratulations. She knows it’s going to be great. It’s going to be a really sweet gig. She sits down and asks him to please excuse her. She’s got a lot of work to do. The hotel’s not going to run itself, right?

Deanna asks how Willow’s first day is going, and Willow says, great. This was the perfect day for her to return to work.

Dante asks what he’s looking at, and Sam says, Sasha’s toxicology report. He asks how she got this, and she just smiles. He says, she’s got two drugs in her system, and Sam says, the fluoxetine, which is an antidepressant she already had a prescription for and dextroamphetamine. When taken in combination with the antidepressant, it can cause hallucinations, paranoia, similar symptoms to a psychotic break. The dextroamphetamine must have been the drug Dr. Montague gave her to finally put her over the edge. He says, so how do they prove it?

Cyrus calls to Drew, and Drew asks what he wants. Cyrus says he wanted to warn Drew, and Drew says, about what? Cyrus says, the warden’s on a tear, and Drew asks, why? Cyrus says, rumors are circulating she’s up for a big job. She can’t have anything happen that makes her look bad or incompetent. He’s hearing she’s putting the place on lockdown to make sure there are no incidents and nothing goes wrong. Drew says, lockdown? That’s going to put everybody on edge. Cyrus tells him, keep your head down. Stay invisible. Drew continues down the hall.

Nina tells Charlotte, yes. They were talking about her. How it seems she’s grown up overnight. Carly says, you know who Charlotte reminds her of at her age? Charlotte says, who? and Carly says, Lulu. Charlotte asks if Carly really thinks she’s like her mom, and Carly says, oh yes. She knows Charlotte adores her dad, but don’t forget she’s a Spencer too. Diane comes in, and Carly asks them to excuse her, going over to Diane. Diane says she just came from a chat with Robert Scorpio. Carly says she could really use some good news, and Diane says, he gave her a little insight as to why Judge Kim might have handed down such a harsh sentence to Drew, and what they can do about it.

Nina and Charlotte sit at the counter, and Nina says, Charlotte misses her mom. Charlotte says, every day. She promised her mom to take care of Rocco and not to worry about it and just get better, but it makes her sad she’s still in a coma. But she always feels better when she’s with her papa. Guess what? He says they’re going to be together full-time. Nina says, great. And Anna? Charlotte says, yeah. That’s okay.

Anna says, it’s the most perfect present, and hugs Robert, thanking him. She asks, what inspired him to do that? and he says, she lost all that stuff in the fire. She was more upset about losing those pictures than she was about losing the house. She says, you can replace a house, and he says he called in a few favors. People went through phones, albums, computers. She can go back as far as she likes, then go back further. She laughs and says, he’s brilliant. He says, when she’s right, she’s right, and she says, this means the world to her. He says, and she means the world to him. He’s so glad she likes it. She says she loves it. She’s probably going to look at it a couple of thousand times tonight, and maybe some more in the morning. Valentin comes in, and they lock eyes.

Tomorrow, Curtis asks if Portia is really as calm about this as she seems; Trina says she’ll take someone up on that bet; Carly asks Diane if it’s enough to get Drew out of Pentenville; and some inmates catch Drew alone in the shower. Don’t drop that soap!!!

Southern Charm

In watching what happened last week, I see Madison smirk while Taylor is going on her tirade. I don’t care what kind of a wife and mother this girl portrays; I don’t trust her. I just can’t grasp how she snagged Brett. He must never have seen the show. Yeah, I can guess what she might have to offer, but a dude with his assets, both financial and physical, can’t possibly have a hard time finding someone equally skilled.

On another note, I look at the blurb in the digital guide, and Kathryn’s name is still on the show. Huh? Is she making a not-so surprise appearance? Or is whoever makes the guide just lazy?

Venita’s dog Charles has a blue/green tail! I guarantee, this will be the best moment of the show. Unless Little Craig comes along with a mohawk.

Craig calls Paige, who says she’ll be back Saturday. She asks about the party, and he says, it was fun. In his interview, he says he knows what Taylor is dealing with and that she didn’t mean it. No good will come of telling Paige that Taylor accused her of cheating. In her interview, Taylor says she loved her job and gave everything up to travel with Shep. We flash back to that, and she says, at the time she thought it was the right decision because she thought they were going to have a life together. Instead, she was just out of a job. Thanks for that, Shep. Taylor visits Leva at one of the restaurants, and does a presentation for a mixer called Day Chasers, but fails miserably from her ums to struggling with getting the cans out of the box. In Leva’s interview, she says, it’s hard to watch. In Taylor’s interview, she explains that one of Shep’s buddies needs a rep. She thought impressing Leva would be a big deal. Leva suggests she carry the produce, but Taylor come in and promote it. In her interview, Leva says she’s supporting Taylor however she can. This is why you should never quit your job for a dude. Truth! Leva says, the last time she saw Taylor, it was a debacle, and we flash back to that. She says she doesn’t want Taylor to be that person. Taylor says, there was a rumor going around about Paige, and she said it to be hurtful. She thinks it’s really between her and Shep, and has nothing to do with Craig. In her interview, she says she regrets what she said. She doesn’t want to care, but she does.

Craig goes golfing with Austen and JT, who I kind of like, so maybe he should run away. In Craig’s interview, he says he met JT a couple years ago when JT was in Charleston. At first he wondered, who is the kid with the Napolean complex, but JT grew on him and they became friends. Craig periodically makes short jokes, and I have to admit they’re pretty funny. In JT’s interview, he says he’s known Craig a long time. They play golf and hang out. He made Charleston his home, and now he lives life in the Charleston bubble. It’s the best little bubble , and he thinks he’s never going to leave. JT says he’d invited friends to stay with him in London for some golf event in Paris, and Taylor hooked up with his friend. He asks if Shep is bothered by Austen hanging out with Taylor, and in his interview, Craig says he thinks it’s Shep’s way of staying in touch with Taylor, and it comforts him. Craig says, don’t hang out with friends’ exes, and JT says, it’s going to come back and bite Austen.

Olivia meets Rod at a boardwalk, and in her interview, she says, they met the first time at a crowded bar, and had a flirtation. He gives her a coffee, and they walk on the boardwalk. She says her roommates just moved out, and he asks if she feels like an empty nester. In Olivia’s interview, she says, dating in Charleston is intimidating. She’s ancient by Southern standards. When you’re 30, you’re dust. They sit in the park and eat the sandwiches and chips he brought. He seems like a super nice guy, and in her interview, Taylor says, he has a chivalrous spirit. It’s refreshing and makes her want to give him a shot. With Austen, she was in Neverland; now she’s on earth. They talk and have a lot of laughs, and Rod says he wants to make it a habit. They kiss a little bit.

Patricia looks amazing for 110, with new striking blonde highlights. New Butler Randy brings martinis for her and Whitney, who complains incessantly about the chair he’s sitting in. Randy seems cool, but there will never be another Michael. In her interview, Patricia tells us, in Britain, it’s gauche to clink glasses; they just do a cheers. She tells Whitney that she was sorry to have missed Madison’s party, but she told Madison that she’ll go to the next one. She hassles him about settling down, and in her interview, she says, her father married in his 60s, and Whitney has his DNA. She thinks he needs to get over 22 year old models; he complains they’re inarticulate. They need to expand the search. Whitney says, to quote the Keebler elves, you can’t rush richness. She says she thought he would quote Strindberg or something more esoteric. They should have their own show. Grey Gardens: The Next Generation.

Madison calls mom Tara, and asks when Tara is coming to visit. She’s free this weekend. Hudson is at his dad’s and Brett is in California; she’s alone. Tara says she’ll come, and gives Madison kudos for being a good wife. In Madison’s interview, she says she made pot roast, and Brett left all the carrots around it. She realized he must be allergic, but he didn’t complain one time. If he was allergic, I would think he’d have said something, and removed the carrots. He probably just doesn’t like carrots. Tara says she’s sorry she missed the party, and Madison says, they’re talking about having a baby. Brett is now in an office versus fighting fires. In her interview, Madison says, Brett took a step back from the frontlines after they got married. If she has a baby, she’s going to want him there all the time.

Austen, JT, Craig, and Shep go to bar, and Shep talks about all the girls he met in Melbourne; he went golfing, barhopping, and was even someone’s date for a wedding. JT asks if he was on an app, but Shep says he had organic success. JT wonders why Shep let Taylor go. He doesn’t understand. It would be hard to do better. Austen says, he did not say that, and JT says, Shep should find a way to marry that girl, but Shep says, there are plenty of fish in the sea. JT keeps asking, but why? and Craig says, JT is in love with Taylor. He lights up when she comes into a room. Austen says he does too, but he’s not in love with her. JT asks if Shep cares that Austen has a relationship with his ex, but Shep says, Taylor decides who she hangs out with. JT says, bro code, and in Shep’s interview, he says, Austen is like a life raft between him and Taylor. It’s because he cares. JT says he gets what Shep is saying, but to have a sleepover with a friend’s ex… This is obviously news to Shep, and JT says, they all went out to a bar, then to Austen’s, and he left. When he called Taylor in the morning about having coffee, she said she was still at Austen’s house. Shep says, obviously he never knew this, and Austen looks like he wants the floor to swallow him up. Craig asks Austen if it was just him and Taylor, but Austen says, he was downstairs, and thought Taylor left, but she slept in the guestroom. It surprised him when she was there in the morning, and she said she got drunk. JT says he thinks they’ve hit the point where it’s a little grey and murky. Shep agrees, but says he has no claims. Austen insists he’s like a protective brother, and Craig asks if they ever kissed. Austen says, no, but I’m not so sure. Craig tells Shep that Austen looked down to the left when he answered, and in Craig’s interview, he says, you only have to watch a handful of spy movies to know if they look to the left, it means they’re lying. I have heard that before, but I’d love to know the logic behind that theory. Austen says, they could share bed and nothing would happen, and maintains they never kissed. Shep says he believes Austen and they should drop it. In Shep’s interview, he says, Austen is a close friend, so he has to go with what Austen said, because friends trust each other. If Olivia came on to him… He doesn’t really see her doing that, but he is pretty charming and cool. I gag.

Madison visits Venita, and Charles takes off after a cat outside. Madison asks if they’re pulling weeds or planting pretty stuff, and Venita says, both. In Madison’s interview, she says, there’s only a few people she’ll pull weeds out of the damn ground for, and Venita is one of them. She’s glad she and Venita are friends again. Don’t talk sh*t about her and they’ll be fine. In Venita’s interview, she says, she can laugh with Madison and doesn’t feel judged. She asks Madison how Brett felt about meeting everyone, and Madison says, other than Taylor, he seemed pretty happy. Venita says, Taylor has the right to be hurt, but she can’t be bringing dildos and screaming at people’s parties. It’s not the time and place. She’s not used to this side of Taylor, and feels like they should get the girls together and see if they can reel her in. Have some girl talk, and make her realize that if she’s having a down moment, call one of them and not yell at people. Madison says, an ex’s best friends going to side with them, and she thinks Austen is low key in love with Taylor.

The guys decide to go to another bar, and Austen tells JT, that was a lot. Outside, Shep tells Craig that he thought he was pretty evolved, but it would be f***ed up if Austen slept with Taylor. He has no idea if they kissed, but he’s not playing detective. Austen and Taylor had a good relationship when he and Taylor were dating, and when the breakup occurred, it got stronger. Craig thinks it’s sketchy. Rodrigo meets them at the next bar, and Craig says he’ll pay JT’s tab if he wears a T-shirt from the bar that says Big Deck Energy. In Austen’s interview, he says he’s known Rodrigo for a decade. Rodrigo was best friends with one of his friends high school, and is one of his favorite humans in Charleston. We find out Rodrigo has a boyfriend of eight years, and Austen asks JT, when was the last time he had sex? JT says he hasn’t been interested in anyone, and Craig says, he’s holding out for Taylor. JT tells him to stop painting that narrative, and Shep, Craig, and Austen go to the bar. Shep says he knows how much Taylor loved him, and he can’t believe they’re out drinking and talking about failed relationships. Craig says, maybe Shep is softer than he thought. Maybe it bugs him more than he wants to admit. Shep says he didn’t know about Taylor spending the night. He doesn’t want to know. It bothers him, but it’s her choice. Austen tells them that he’s sitting right here, and Shep says, they could have had a one night stand, and Taylor wouldn’t have said sh*t. Austen says, that’s not what happened, and in Craig’s interview, he says, this is so bad.

Craig says he knows it hit Shep, and Austen tells him to stop pounding this. He suggests they go somewhere else and stop talking about their exes. They decide to move on, and JT asks if he can take the shirt off now. They go to a rooftop lounge originally named Rooftop Lounge. Austen makes that toast that ends with, the best ships are friendships. JT, Rodrigo, and Austen go to the bar for a shot, and Shep tells Craig that in ten or twenty years, traditional marriage will be passe. Lust and love are two different things. Lust happens in the blink of an eye. It doesn’t mean much, but it’s something. Wow. What a philosopher. At the bar, JT says, that was a lot of ex talk for one night, and Austen tells, don’t bring him and Taylor up next time. Craig asks how Shep feels, and Shep says he doesn’t know. He feels 50/50 that something happened, but he can’t go back in time. He wouldn’t be surprised if they went for it and no one would ever know. He thinks it’s f***ed up.

Next time, Craig can’t drive a U-Haul; Shep and Craig continue to talk about Taylor and Austen; Madison tells Taylor that Austen is low key in love with her; Shep tells Olivia about the sleepover; and Olivia asks if anything happened.

September 6, 2023 – Sam Runs Into Dr. Montague Again, Fancy Pants Throws a High-Def Party, Thought & Money

Standard

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Anna and Valentin walk into their suite at the MetroCourt, and she wonders if it’s her, or does upgrading from a room to a suite make it seem more permanent? He says, it’s not permanent, but it’s definitely more comfortable, and she says, they won’t call it home though. She looks around and says, wait. Something’s off.

On the phone at the MetroCourt, Nina leaves a voicemail for Diane. She says she needs to know what’s going on with Sonny. She’s going out of her mind. When Diane gets this message, please call her back. Kristina walks in, and asks if Nina has heard anything about her dad, but Nina says, no. She was just leaving a message for Diane. She must know something by now. Kristina asks if Nina thinks Diane can get him out, and Nina says, she has to.

Dante storms into Michael’s office and asks if he did it. Michael asks what he’s talking about, and Dante asks if Michael turned their father in to the Feds.

Sam shows her ID to Janice at Ferncliff, and says she has medical proxy for a patient. His name is Cody Bell. She wanted to see how he’s doing, and also got a message that she has to fill out some extra paperwork. Janice says, the doctor requested some behavioral information on Mr. Bell. Anything Sam can provide as to his recent demeanor would be very helpful. Sam asks if Janice can tell her how he’s doing.

In his cell room, Cody paces and says, not right, not right. He shouldn’t be here. The doctor (not Montague) asks if he knows why he’s here, and Cody says, because he was honest with that damn shrink at General Hospital. He should have just given him the standard answers to all those questions. What do the ink blots look like? They look like butterflies, doc. The doctor says, treatment will do no good if Cody is hiding his true feelings. If he wants to get better, he has to be honest with his doctors and with himself. Cody asks if this is what better looks like. He can’t stand to be in his own skin. His brain; all his thoughts are bunching against it until he can’t help it anymore. It hurts so bad, he just wants it to stop.

Sasha sits on her bed and says, she can do this. She has to do this. Dr. Montague comes in and says, the nurse told him that Sasha wanted to see him. She says she wanted to thank him for everything he’s done for her. He’s been so helpful in her recovery and she’s feeling so much stronger. The treatment worked. She’s ready to go home. (Did she really think it would be that easy?)

Molly gives the hospital reception nurse some paperwork, and says, all done. Alexis comes in and hugs Molly. Molly says she’s not complaining, but what was that for? Alexis says, because she loves Molly, and it’s a special day. The surrogate is having her procedure. Molly thanks her and agrees it’s a big day. She’s glad Alexis came to wish her luck, and Alexis says, of course (🍷) she did. She also came to deliver a message from Kristina… Molly tells her, don’t even say it. She can’t talk about Kristina. Not today. She knows they need to get through their differences, but just let her get through today first. Alexis says she doesn’t want to talk about the friction between the Molly and Kristina; that’s between the two of them. She was simply going to tell Molly that Kristina said she’s thinking about her. They talked last night, and Kristina said she didn’t want to reach out to Molly because of the given situation, but that she hopes everything goes well today. Molly says, thank God it was just a message from Alexis. If Kristina had shown up here, she’d have lost it. She’s already nervous, and Kristina would have put her over the edge. Alexis says, probably, because Kristina is also over the edge about her father. Molly says she is too. She loves Uncle Sonny. He’s always been great to her. But on a professional level, she has mixed feelings. Alexis says she gets it, and Kristina says, it’s a total conflict of interest, but she’s the ADA and can’t turn a blind eye to Sonny’s illegal activities. Let’s just say, it’s complicated. Alexis says, oh, she knows that.

Kristina says, so Nina hasn’t heard from Diane at all since her dad was arrested? and Nina says, no. Kristina says, what is she doing? Doesn’t she know this is crazy? Nina says she’s sure Diane is busy trying to get Kristina’s father released, but she wishes Diane would at least give them an update. She should have at least had him out on bail by now. Nina says, Kristina’s father was arrested for a federal crime, so she doesn’t even know if he qualifies for bail, but she does know this. After 72 hours, they either have to charge Sonny or they have to release him. Kristina says she’s going to try Diane again. She’s been texting Diane all morning, and Diane can’t keep dodging her like this. Her dad is Diane’s most important client. Does Nina know how much money he’s given her over the years? He would be furious if he found out she was ignoring them like this. She’s not going to sit around just waiting for Diane to call them. There has to be something else they can do, right?

Michael tells Dante, calm down. He was at the MetroCourt when the FBI showed up. He was just as surprised as everyone else. Dante asks if he was surprised they arrested Sonny or that they chose to do it there, and Michael says, Dante thinks he set Sonny up? Why would he do that, especially in front of his son? Dante says, speaking of Michael’s son, what if Wiley betrayed him the way he just betrayed Sonny? Michael says he didn’t betray Sonny, but Dante says, Michael has been so angry at Sonny for so long, he’s been dying for a chance to crush him. Michael says he had nothing to do with Sonny getting arrested, and Dante says he doesn’t understand the problem Michael has with Sonny either. They both handle revenge in the most ruthless of ways. When Michael took custody of Avery, he literally snatched her from Sonny’s arms. Michael says he did that to protect his sister. She was a baby and she wasn’t safe with Sonny. Besides, that was years ago. Dante says, Sonny was vulnerable then, the way he is now, and Michael’s doing it again. He was there when Michael swore he’d do anything to take Sonny down. Michael tells him, yes, he did say that, but that doesn’t mean he acted on it. People say things in the heat of the moment. Dante says, not Michael; he’s too calculated for that. Michael says he had nothing to do with it, and Dante says, just stop. Why doesn’t he just admit that he did?

Montague says he’s sorry, but that’s not possible. Sasha isn’t ready to be released. Sasha says she is. She feels good. He says, she needs more treatment. If he lets her go home now, she’ll just suffer a relapse, and they wouldn’t want that to happen, would they? She says she has a lot of money. She can pay him anything he wants, just please, let her go. He says, this isn’t about money, and takes a syringe out of his pocket. Remember, he told her that he stays with his patients until the very end? This is not the end for her. Not until he says so. She says, please don’t do this to her, and he says, it’s okay. She starts to cry and yells for someone to let her out, but he injects her, and she slides to the floor.

Cody says, it’s like a speeding train charging through his skull, flashing lights and all these images. He knows what the world should look like, but he can’t change it. He’s so tired, but he can’t sleep. Every time he closes his eyes, he’s thinking about how can he win? What cards should he play? He looks at his hand and there it is, a Royal Flush. Has the doctor ever gotten a Royal Flush? It’s the best hand in poker; it’s almost impossible to lose. Then he starts thinking about the jackpot. What’s he going to do with all that money? And then – he jumps on the bed – he’s in the penthouse standing there, and he can feel the breeze, so he steps out. It’s such a long way down. It would be so easy to just let go. He’s not scared. For the first time, it feels like he’s actually in control, just knowing he can end it all.

Valentin asks, what is it? and Anna says, something’s out of place. She walks around, looking at everything, and Valentin says, everything looks fine to him, but she says, no. Remember when she brought these in? She picks up a stack of mail from the coffee table, and he says, from the P.O. box, sure. She says she was flipping through the mail and left them right here. She walks over to another table, and asks if he moved them, but he says, obviously the housekeepers have been here since they were at breakfast. They could have moved them. She says, maybe, and he asks if something is missing. She says she doesn’t know… No. It’s nothing. He asks if she’s all right, and she says, yeah. She doesn’t know. Ever since Sonny got arrested, she’s just been kind of anxious. She’s worried about him because she can’t help but wonder… Does Valentin think Pikeman had something to do with Sonny’s arrest?

Molly says she wants Alexis to be honest with her. Does Alexis think she’s moving too fast with the surrogate? Alexis says, that’s not a question she can answer for Molly. Molly and TJ know what’s right. Molly says she’s been listening to this podcast about women who struggle with infertility, and they were saying that being told you can never have a child is like a death in a way. It takes time to mourn the baby you’ll never have. Alexis says she never thought of anything like that, and Molly says, it makes sense. Maybe she should have taken time to mourn this loss instead of jumping into surrogacy. Alexis asks if she’s having second thoughts, and Molly says, not exactly. She just wanted Alexis’s perspective. Alexis says, Molly has always had a very logical mind. She likes things just so, in order, by the book. But there’s no book for this. If there were, it would make things much easier. Really this is a feeling thing, and she and TJ have to know what’s right for them. Molly guesses she’s not sure what that is, and Alexis says she knows Molly wanted to carry this baby by herself, and that didn’t work out and she’s sorry. But she and TJ have found a different way to have a family. The important thing here, the only important thing, is that Molly is going to be a mother. Not in the traditional way, but to hell with tradition. Molly laughs and says, yeah. Alexis says she’s got to go to the MetroCourt. She loves Molly. Molly says she loves Alexis more, and Alexis leaves.

Nina says she knows Kristina is frustrated, and she’s frustrated too. Maybe Diane just has her hands full right now and she’ll update them as soon as she hears something. Kristina says, okay, but she wants Nina to promise she’ll tell her as soon as she hears something. Nina promises and Kristina thanks her. She knows Nina cares about her dad as much as she does, and Nina really feels like family now. She knows it’s crazy, it took her dad’s arrest to make her realize that, but people come together in crisis. Nina says she knew when she committed to Kristina’s father that his children were part of the package, and she loves Kristina. She’s been supportive right from the beginning, and she can’t tell Kristina how much that means to her. Now if they could only get Michael on board. Kristina says, Michael’s a tough one. He holds onto a grudge like it’s nobody’s business, but hang in there. Even if Nina can’t get through to him, she knows Willow can. Nina’s daughter has the magic touch. Nina says she would like to think so, but if Willow’s illness didn’t teach him anything, she doubts Kristina’s father getting arrested will do that. Kristina says, yeah. She’s got to go. She asks Nina to keep in touch, and hugs her. She leaves, and Nina checks her phone, but nothing.

Michael tells Dante, was he angry with Sonny? Yes. Was he disappointed with Sonny? Yes, but he never went to the Feds and had nothing to do with Sonny getting arrested. If Dante doesn’t believe he wouldn’t hurt their father, believe he wouldn’t hurt their siblings. They would be devastated if Sonny were sent to jail. Dante says, no kidding, and Michael says, not only would they miss him, they’d also be in danger because of how many enemies Sonny has. And if Sonny’s behind bars, one of them could retaliate and come after his family. When he made peace with Sonny, he meant it. He still isn’t over what Sonny did to his mom, but they’re moving forward. This whole situation with Willow made him realize that life is fragile. It’s not worth holding on to a grudge. She told him, it takes more energy to hate than it does to love. Dante says, it’s a good thing Michael married a wise woman, and Michael agrees. Dante says he’s sorry he accused Michael, and Michael says, it’s not like he didn’t give Dante reason to. He’s glad Dante stopped by so they can clear the air. Kristina walks in and asks if she’s interrupting, but Michael says, no. Dante asks if she’s holding up okay, and she says she’ll be a lot better when the FBI lets dad go. Dante says, they all feel that way, and she asks, when’s that going to happen? He says he doesn’t know. It’s the Feds, so they can hold him 72 hours. He’ll see what he can find out. Kristina thanks him and he leaves. Kristina says, Dante accused Michael of what happened, huh? He’s the one who turned in dad? Michael says, come on. Like he told Dante, he had nothing to do with this. She says she believes him, and he thanks her. She says, but he’s glad it happened, right?

Sam fills out the paperwork, when Montague comes out. He says, they meet again. He didn’t get her name last time. She says, Sam McCall. What a coincidence running into him here. he says, this is a mental health facility, so it’s not unusual to find a psychiatrist at Ferncliff, but what is she doing here?

TJ joins Molly as she nervously paces. She says, medically, she’s not the one having the procedure and it has nothing to do with her, but he says, it has everything to do with her, with them. The surrogate is getting IUI today and could become pregnant with their child. It’s totally normal to be on edge. She says, he’s right; there’s nothing to worry about. They hug, and Andrea joins them. She says she’s ready.

Valentin tells Anna, does he think Pikeman was involved in Sonny’s arrest? No. First of all, they’re purely motivated by profit, and he can’t see any financial gain to be made by arresting Sonny. She says, maybe he’s worth more to them behind bars, and he says, second of all, they were desperate for an introduction to Sonny. It just doesn’t make any sense for it to be a set-up. She says, Pikeman is such a huge contractor, they can’t possibly know all of their motives. Valentin says, lets say they were involved. Sonny has a long history of avoiding law enforcement, including when she was Police Commissioner. She says, he doesn’t have to remind her, and he tells her that he’s just saying, Sonny is very good at escaping consequences for his actions, and he doesn’t think this is going to be any different. She says, he’s right. Can she ask him a favor though? He says she can always ask him a favor, and she asks if he still has that contact over at Pikeman. He says, yeah, and she says, great. Could he ask him or her if they know anything about Sonny’s arrest? He says he has to make a phone call. He’ll see if there’s anything he can do for her. He punches the numbers in the phone and says, this is Valentin Cassadine. I need your help with something.

Molly asks how Andrea is feeling, and she says she didn’t know she’d be so nervous. Molly says, so it’s not just them. She’s been a wreck all morning. TJ says he’s been trying to tell Molly, it’s a simple procedure; nothing to worry about. Andrea says she knows they have a lot riding on this. She’s been following doctor’s orders and monitoring her cycle closely and taking those home ovulation tests. Which is how she knew her hormones were surging, which means she’s ovulating. It sounds like she’s talking about a science project instead of her own body. It’s a lot to keep track of. Molly asks if she’s sure she wants to go through with this, and Andrea says, definitely. She’s committed to this. She knows she’s making the right choice for her family and for theirs. The nurse tells Andrea that they’re ready for her, and Andrea says, wish her luck. TJ and Molly say, good luck, and Andrea leaves with the nurse. TJ says, they’ve got this.

Valentin says, thanks. He’ll see them soon. Anna asks what he said, and Valentin says, he didn’t want to get into it on the phone, but he’s agreed to meet with Valentin. She says, that’s great, and he says he’ll let her know what he finds out. She thanks him and says, she appreciates this. He kisses her, says, she’s welcome, and leaves. She waits a moment, then follows, putting a piece of paper in her back pocket.

Trish tells Nina, the phone’s been ringing non-stop because people want to know when they’re going to open, and Nina says, it’s fine. She can open. Alexis comes in, and Nina says she’s sorry they’re late in opening. She’ll find Alexis a waitress. Alexis says she’s not here to eat. She’s here to discuss Sonny. Nina says, they don’t have any updates, and she’s desperate to talk to Diane. Alexis says she hasn’t been able to get ahold of Diane either, but Diane will handle it. What she’s more concerned about is their daughter and the rest of his family. Nina asks what she means, and Alexis says, if Sonny ends up serving time, that is a real problem for the people who are close to him, because it makes them fair game to his enemies, and Nina’s fiancé has a lot of them. Nina says, she doesn’t think… and Alexis says, what she thinks is that, if Sonny is off the streets, he’s not looking after his family. Nina says, there are a ton of guards. They’re not just going to leave because Sonny’s in prison. Alexis says, what makes her think Sonny’s security is as loyal to his family as they are to Sonny? There’s no guarantee they’d lay down their lives for anyone except him. Nina says, this is frightening, and Alexis says, it is. And she’s here to make Nina aware that if Sonny ends up in prison, Nina is vulnerable and so are his children.

Olivia discusses the menu with Trish, when Dante comes in. He hugs her, and she asks how he’s doing. Any news on his dad? He says, of course (🍷) not. It’s the Feds. He’s still in custody. That’s all Dante knows until he hears from Diane. He’ll let Olivia know when he does. Has she seen Cody around? She says, no and she doesn’t expect to. He took the week off.

Cody says he doesn’t know why he listened to her. He shouldn’t have listened to her. The doctor asks, who? and Cody says, his friend. She says she’s his friend, but she’s the one who talked him into staying here. So obviously – he jumps off the bed – he can’t trust her anymore. But that’s how women are, isn’t it? They say they won’t repress you, but really they just want to control you. Just like his mother. And the government. My mother, big brother. You want to know who’s really in charge of this AI crap? It’s them. It’s just another way to get inside our brains. The doctor walks toward the door, and Cody says, he’s probably working for them. Did they tell the doctor to look at him? The doctor asks who he’s talking about, and Cody says he told him, grabbing his lapels. The government. But he’s never going to work for them. No, no, no, no, no. He’s not wearing a suit. A tie? That’s just a dog collar. Something for them to control you, to choke you. He puts his hands around his own throat, falling back on the bed, choking himself. And he’s too tired. He’s so tired. He cries and says he doesn’t want to be here. Let him go.

Sam tells Montague that she actually has a friend here who’s going through a really tough time and he agreed to be admitted. She’s his medical proxy, and they asked her to fill out some extra paperwork about his medical history. He says he doesn’t mean to pry, but is this patient her boyfriend? She says, oh no. They’re just friends. She can’t imagine if her partner was the one who had to be committed. He says, it does have negative connotations, but she says she wouldn’t be embarrassed or anything. She thinks it would be hard to deal with; be really difficult to go through. He says, unfortunately, most of the patients here are in crisis, but he’s dedicated to them, and he always makes sure they get exactly what they need.

Kristina says, part of Michael is glad dad got arrested. Michael thinks he finally got what he deserved, doesn’t he? Michael says, first Dante, now her. Is Avery going to come in here and accuse him next? She says, just answer the question, and he says, did dad deserve to be arrested? Probably. He doesn’t have all the facts, but something they both know is that dad is a criminal. He chose this life; he has to deal with the consequences. He’s broken the law dozens of times, so yes, he does deserve to be prosecuted. But is he happy about it? No. That scene at the MetroCourt was a nightmare. She says she knows; it was awful. When those agents slapped cuffs on dad, it was scary as hell. Michael says he thought she was going to tear those agents apart. Poor Wiley had no idea what was going on. He was just confused and frightened. She sits down, asking if Sonny can beat these charges, and he says he wishes he knew.

Valentin approaches a house we’re unfamiliar with, and goes inside. He says, right on time. Let’s get this over with. Anna peeks out from behind some hedges.

Molly tells TJ that her mom came by earlier to wish them luck, and he says, that was nice of her. Molly says, she brought up Kristina, and he says he hopes that didn’t upset her. She says, no. It wasn’t about what’s going on with them. Kristina’s worried about Uncle Sonny. TJ says, his arrest has been all over the news, and she says, her mom told her it hit Krissy pretty hard. She wanted to reach out and let Kristina know she’s thinking about her, but she just can’t. She’s still mad at her for the whole surrogate thing… TJ says he knows Kristina was just trying to help them, but she doesn’t know when to back off. She says, exactly. She doesn’t have the energy for it. She knows they’ll patch things up eventually; they always do. But they have so much going on right now with the surrogate, she wants to focus on them and nothing else. He says, they’re going to get through this – together. She says, together, and he kisses her hand.

Dante asks why Cody took the week off, and Olivia suggests he ask his girlfriend. He wonders why he’d ask Sam, and she says, Sam’s the one who told her that Cody took the week off. He says, really. He has to go. He’ll see her later.

The doctor gives Cody a pill in a little cup, and says, this will help him sleep. He needs to get some rest. It should clear his head a bit, and they can talk tomorrow. How does that sound? Cody swallows the pill and says, sleep. He can see the stars that way. He gets into bed, and says, this is good, as the doctor leaves. As soon as he’s gone, Cody sits up and looks at the pill in his hand.

Sasha is lying in bed, when Janice comes in. Janice asks if she’s okay. Sasha squints at her, and Janice says she’s Sasha’s nurse. Does Sasha remember her? Sasha closes her eyes, and Janice says, she seems to be getting worse. She’ll have to talk to Dr. Montague.

Anna stands in the doorway, and hears Valentin say, you know what to do. Let me know when you hear back. She runs back to the hedges and ducks behind them. Valentin comes out, saying, this is important. He closes the door and leaves. The spot where Anna was is empty.

On the phone in the elevator, Dante says, where you at? I’m trying to track you down. Call me back. He calls Mac and asks if he’s seen or heard from Cody… Not at all… He doesn’t know where Cody is… Yeah, Mac’s right. Maybe he’s off doing horse stuff. Thanks.

Olivia says she saw told Dante, and Nina says, please tell them that she has an update on Sonny. Olivia says she wishes she could. Unfortunately, the mob aren’t the only ones who swear by omertà. Alexis tells Nina, code of silence, and Olivia says, the FBI is pretty tight-lipped too. Alexis says, that doesn’t surprise her. They never give details, especially when someone is as high profile as Sonny. Nina asks what that means for Sonny, and Alexis tells Nina that she can’t say for sure, but in her experience in dealing with Feds, they wouldn’t make a move this drastic if they didn’t have some serious evidence against Sonny.

Michael tells Kristina, the FBI said they were arresting dad for violations of the National Security Act. They’re significant charges, and he doubts they would file them unless they had credible evidence. She says, those charges make no sense. What could dad possibly have to do with that? He says, she’s being naïve, but she says she’s not. She knows dad has a lot of illegal business dealings, but he’s not a threat to the country. He didn’t commit treason. The FBI is treating him like he’s some insurgent trying to take down the government. Michael says, they wouldn’t arrest him without cause, but they don’t have all the facts yet. She says, he wants facts? She’ll give him a fact; these charges are insane. They arrested dad for something he had no part of.

I already justified this in my mind long ago because I, too, don’t believe Sonny would commit treason. I figure Pikeman sells arms to places like the Ukraine to fight Russia. They’re in it to make a buck, but not to undermine their own country. Sounds good anyway, right?

Anna runs back to the suite, goes inside, and runs to the bedroom. Valentin comes down the hall, messing with his phone, and lets himself in. He asks if Anna is here, and she says, just give her one minute. She comes out in a robe with a towel on her head and says, she didn’t hear him come in. Sorry. She just had a hot shower. How did it go? Did he meet the man from Pikeman? He says, they didn’t have a lot of time. He was flying out of town, but they met at a café by the airport. She asks what he said, and Valentin says, he got some information. Did she just say she had a hot shower?

Andrea comes out, and Molly says, well? Andrea says, all done, and Molly says, that was fast. TJ says, it’s actually a very quick procedure. Molly asks what the doctor said, and Andrea tells her, just that they have to wait and see. They’ll know in about two weeks. She’s going to go home, put her feet up, and relax. TJ asks if they can give her a ride home, but she says she has her car. Molly says she hopes Andrea knows how much this means to them, and Andrea says she’s a mother, so yes, she does. She tells them, take care, and leaves. Molly says she doesn’t want to get her hopes up, but she has a good feeling about this, and TJ tells her, she knows what he always says. Trust your… She says, feelings, and they hug. Call me paranoid, but I have a bad feeling about Andrea driving herself home.

Nina says, they’re very matter of fact about this. Sonny could be in serious trouble. Aren’t they worried about him? Olivia says, yes, she’s worried, but growing up the way she did… This lifestyle just comes with the territory in Bensonhurst. Nina says, so she should just accept it, but Olivia tells her, that’s not what she’s saying. If Nina is going to be with Sonny, she doesn’t have much of a choice. Nina says, they both share children, even though they knew what they were getting into. This can’t be easy to deal with. Alexis says, it isn’t easy to deal with; it never has been. But what she won’t do is approve of it. She never has and she never will. Having said that, Sonny has a way of getting out of these things, and she hopes to God that he’s able to beat this rap too. For the sake of her child, and the sake of all of his kids. Excuse her. She dashes off.

Michael tells Kristina, there’s a reason Sonny didn’t talk about the business in front of his kids. He didn’t want them involved. And there was no reason for them to have any information about his dealings. It was best for everyone if it was kept in the dark. She says, now he’s the one being naïve. Yeah, dad tried to shield them from his coffee business, but he’s known from the time he was ten that dad’s not a normal dad. Did he think it was normal that their dad carried a gun and had armed guards? He says, at some point they all realized dad didn’t have a normal job, but he didn’t share any of those details with them. They have no idea what dad did or didn’t do. She says, honestly, she’s just worried it’s revenge. For years the FBI has been trying to get dad legitimately and they’ve never been able to. So now, what if they set him up? What if they planted evidence to make the charges stick? He says, one thing he does know is dad wouldn’t want her getting caught up in this mess. He knows it’s hard, but she just needs to focus on the youth center and living her life. She says, that’s so nice. Thank you. Great advice from her big brother. It makes her feel better. Come on. She’s going to worry about dad. Be straight with her. Does he think dad is going to get cleared at the arraignment? He says he’s afraid not.

Valentin asks if Anna just said she had a hot shower, and she says, yes. She had a shower. Why? He says, it’s odd. The woman at the front desk literally just told him that they were having problems with the hot water heater on this floor and they’re sending a maintenance crew to look at it. She says, the temperature seemed fine to her. Now, back to his meeting. What happened with his contact from Pikeman? He says, he confirmed that Pikeman had nothing to do with Sonny’s arrest, and she says, but they met at a café, right? He says, they did, and she says she’s just wondering if there was information he didn’t want to say in public. You never know who’s listening to you. Valentin says, if his contact had something else to tell him, he would have arranged for someplace private, but his contact had nothing for him. She says she was really hoping to find some information out. Anyway, she thanks him so much for doing that. She really appreciates it. He made such good time getting back from the airport. Traffic is usually heavier at this hour. She tells him that she’s going to get dressed and goes into the bedroom.

Sam gets home, and Dante asks if she got his message. She says she did. She’s sorry. She didn’t have a chance to call him back. What did he want to talk to her about? He says he was talking to his mom, and she said Cody was taking off for a few days. He was surprised to hear that, then she said she’d heard it from Sam, which he was even more surprised to hear. She says she did tell his mom that, and he says, so does she want to tell him where Cody is?

Janice tries to rouse Sasha, but she just rolls over onto her side. Janice says she’s going to talk to Dr. Montague again. They discussed transferring her to a different facility because her treatment here doesn’t seem to be working. She leaves without locking the door, and Cody slips in. He goes over to Sasha and says, what have they done to you?

Tomorrow, Chase says he thought Brook was moving in, not just spending the night; Alexis tells Kristina and Molly to kiss and make up; Cody tells Sasha to take his hand; and Nina begs Carly for help.

The Real Awful Housewives of Orange County

Shannon visits Dr. Moon! He says, she’s drooping, and she tells him that she’s stressed. In her interview, she says, there’s been a lot of conversation about her and John’s relationship, so there’s been a lot of sagging. Dr. Moon helps get the stress out of her body. He’s sent her a prototype of an at-home colonic that she’s used for a long time, but there might have been an issue with the tip. We flash back to when she lost the tip up her… oh, you know. She says, they’re making the device so that it’s all one piece, and she’s taking the next step to grow her business. She has three kids going to school in cities that are expensive to live in, and she needs to diversify. She’s just breaking even and wants to turn sh*t into gold.

Jenn makes cookies with mom Kristen, who she says is truly her best friend. In Jenn’s interview, she says, where she’s from, divorce is taboo. When her marriage went rocky, her mom stopped coming around. If she didn’t see it, maybe it wouldn’t happen. Kristen says, Jenn has to be happy, not just pretend to be, and Jenn says, Ryan keeps talking about the future, and she wants her mother’s honest opinion. In her interview, Jenn says, Ryan and her mother haven’t met, and if her mom says she’s out of her mind, she doesn’t know what she’s going to do.

Everyone gets ready for Heather’s Fireside Event. Fancy Pants Heather tells Terry that a red pocket square with a pink tie is not a thing, so jot that down. She’s launching the first network on the Fireside app, and says, it’s not OWN, but it’s HD, and she’s throwing a party to celebrate living life in high definition. The possibilities of shows are endless, and the more work you do, the more work you get, and the more you’re seen. For some ungodly reason, she’s decided to invite her fellow cast members as well. Tamra and Jenn are both wearing neon dresses, some kind of yellow green, and I don’t think so. Supposedly, Shannon isn’t feeling well, and isn’t coming, and Fancy Pants is annoyed that she didn’t find out until the last minute. In Emily’s interview, she says, Fancy Pants told her that Shannon was talking sh*t about her at BravoCon. But then Fancy Pants told her that she couldn’t say what it was because it’s in the vault. Emily doesn’t even know where their friendship stands.

In Fancy Pants’ interview, she says she hates moving, but this experience feels like a real adventure. They’re now in a hotel, and she’s living on adrenaline. The sale of the house is done, and she wants to celebrate, but now isn’t the right moment. She’s playing this one close to the vest. After the guests arrive, she pops a humongous bottle of champagne. She tells them that the network is about community, and she wants to keep their community flowing. We see HD on every possible thing, and in Gina’s interview, she says, the party has Heather written all over it. Fancy Pants explains that you can do anything on her network, and in Tamra’s interview, she wonders if that’s where Fancy Pants’ acting career is going. It’s kind of like Instagram live, TikTok or Only Fans. She feels robbed. She’s also shocked Jenn hasn’t introduced Ryan to her family. Tamra says she needs an Eddie break, and they all decide to go to Mexico. The first course is served something under a cloche, and Emily clearly doesn’t eat fancy food very often. She says she’s had eight glasses of champagne and no food, and it certainly shows. She says she thinks Fancy Pants should put her initials on more things, and in her interview, Gina asks, why say it now? Wait until after the party and they’ll talk sh*t about it. Emily is treading on thin ice, and Fancy Pants is going to kill her. Emily says she’s joking, but Fancy Pants fails to see the humor. Tamra yells, water! and in her interview, Fancy Pants says, Emily is acting like an ass; so crass, rude, and inappropriate. But she’s not allowing Emily to take this away. Gina tells Emily that she’s being a d*ck, and Emily says, Fancy Pants should either tell her what Shannon said or don’t start stuff. Gina and Emily get up to go to the restroom, and have to go through a curtain to get there. Emily says, it’s like The Wizard of Oz, and she’s not wrong. Fancy Pants says, Emily should eat her f***ing food and shut up. At this age, she should be past that. In her interview, she says she doesn’t think Emily’s behavior is funny at all. If you’re that hammered, leave the table. After the dinner, Fancy Pants thanks them for coming, and Gina says she deserves all this and more.

Fancy Pants and Terry go to say goodbye to their house after the party. In her interview, Fancy Pants says, the deal is done, the party is over, and this is their goodbye. In Terry’s interview, he says, they put their blood, sweat, and tears in this house. He’d wanted to be buried in the backyard, but it strangely feels like it’s not his anymore. He’s going to miss it very much in 50 million different ways. They drink champagne out of the bottle, and Terry says, every inch of the house is Fancy Pants; perfect in so many ways. She says, ask her friends, and tells him that Emily was horrible. This is exactly why she didn’t want to tell them about the house. Terry asks what she’s going to say when she decides to share, and she says she’s damned if she does, and damned if she doesn’t. In her interview, she says, a friend is happy for you for your success. If she tells the women something positive, she’s bragging. We flash back to Emily telling her that she comes across as better than them, and she says, don’t poke holes in other people’s boats. It doesn’t make your boat float. Please prove her wrong. She and Terry dance in the kitchen, and we flash back to the house firsts, from digging the foundation to starting the next phase. She says, they’re walking out with happy hearts, and she hopes the next people have beautiful memories there like they did. It’s a happy house. I’ll give her this, one really nice thing she did was leave a note and some gorgeous stuffed toys for the next kids.

On the phone, Shannon tells Tamra that she doesn’t feel good, but it’s not covid. Tamra tells her that Fancy Pants’ event was beautiful as expected. Emily got wasted and was saying whatever she felt. Even Gina was telling her to stop. Shannon says she got a call from Fancy Pants, who was not happy with her for not coming. We see a clip of Heather telling Shannon that she should have just said she didn’t know, and in her interview, Shannon says, flashback to the hoedown. Eight years later, Fancy Pants is still scolding her for not responding on time. Tamra says they talked about a girls trip, and as she’s looking for the info on the hotel, she gets an alert. She tells Shannon that Terry and Fancy Pants just sold their house for $55 million. In Shannon’s interview, she says, that’s a boatload of money for a property. Is she jealous? Yeah. We see all of their reactions, and Taylor says, word travels fast, so she doesn’t know why Fancy Pants wouldn’t say anything. In Tamra’s interview, she says, this is where Fancy Pants’ acting skills come in. It’s bullsh*t. Fancy Pants talks like they’re friends, but when it comes to personal information, she tells them nothing. It’s getting old.

Kristen meets Jenn and Ryan at a restaurant, and in Jenn’s interview, she says, family is everything to her, and it’s a massive moment. Her mom knows about Ryan’s past, and asked if she had concerns, but she said, no, and her mom said, okay. They make boring small talk for a while, then finally get to the elephant in the room. Ryan says, obviously, he wishes he could redo being unfaithful in his marriage. He and his wife met when they were 13, and at 40, they divorced. He’s not happy with how he conducted himself, and Kristen asks if he isn’t concerned to take so much with seven kids between them. Will was a great husband and father. Jenn says, he was a good dad, and in her interview, she says she wishes her mother would stop talking about Will. She’s sure Ryan is thinking, this is a battle. Kristen asks if he’s thinking marriage, and Ryan says, in a perfect world, Jenn’s divorce would be final and they’d be engaged. It’s been amazing for him and fulfilling. In her interview, Jenn says, brick by brick is unloading, and she feels like she can breathe.

Everyone gets packed for Mexico, and the flight is like two seconds. They start drinking on the bus, letting the trip officially begin. In Shannon’s interview, she says she’s Fun Vacation Shannon, and Mexico brings it to another level. We flash back to previous trips to Mexico, and she says, I want more tequila in Spanish. They choose roommates, and in Fancy Pants’ interview, she says she feels like she’s back in fifth grade, seeing who’s getting picked last for dodgeball. I sigh because – let’s say it together – all the wrong people have the all the money. At least they’re not acting like Ramona with the rooms. In Gina’s interview, she says, the suite is bigger than her condo. In Jenn’s interview, she says, it’s a mind-blowing place. She can’t believe it. They have dinner outside, and the cocktail glasses are gravy boats. This should go well. In her interview, Gina says, Fancy Pants isn’t talking about the house, and everybody is biting their tongues, actively trying not to bring up the elephant in the room, but that f***ing elephant is big. Tamra can’t contain herself anymore, and asks why Fancy Pants didn’t tell them. Fancy Pants says, they had an NDA and it happened quick. They had to be out in three weeks. Gina says she can’t believe Fancy Pants didn’t say anything, and Fancy Pants says, to be honest, she wasn’t sure how to discuss it. She feels like if she’s excited about something, they think she’s bragging, and she didn’t feel she could share it. Gina says she’s bummed Fancy Pants feels that way, and in her interview, she says she’s been there for Fancy Pants. It makes her question their friendship. Shannon says she’s happy for Fancy Pants, but she’s thinking back to Fancy Pants telling her that she wasn’t sharing. Fancy Pants says she didn’t want it in the press, and thought she’d share on the trip, and Gina says, it would have been nice if they hadn’t found out about it in the press. Irony! Shannon says, other people criticized her for not sharing, and Fancy Pants asks why Shannon is angry. She was told she was staging pics for the paparazzi. Emily says, it wasn’t a big deal, and Fancy Pants says she didn’t like the connotation. Emily has been unkind. Emily says, Fancy Pants is unfair. She cracks jokes. Fancy Pants says, she was a d*ck, and Emily says she’s sorry if she hurt Fancy Pants’ feelings. She gets it. Over on the side, in Spanish, a waiter says, this soap opera is good.

Emily says she didn’t think she was being negative. Sorry. Fancy Pants asks if she thought her behavior was okay, and Emily says, what she doesn’t think is okay, is Fancy Pants saying she needs to STFU and eat her food. Fancy Pants says, Emily had a cucumber hanging out of her mouth like it was a fruit roll-up, and Emily says, the food had sand in it. If she can’t crack jokes, why was it okay to put cookies on a plate and say they were Emily’s boobs? We flash back to something I don’t even remember, and Emily asks if it’s okay to body shame. Fancy Pants gripes about Emily saying she looked like a whale trainer in her wetsuit, and we flash back to Emily actually saying she looked great first. In Shannon’s interview, she wonders, who gets upset being compared to a whale trainer? Emily says, Fancy Pants hurt her by saying Shannon had crappy things to say about her when they were in Shannon’s room at BravoCon, then not telling her what they were. Shannon says, they were never in her room, and Fancy Pants tells Emily that she never said that. Emily asks why she’d make that up, and Fancy Pants says she’s tired of being the scapegoat. In Gina’s interview, she says she was in the room with Emily and Fancy Pants, and she’s pretty sure Fancy Pants told Emily that Tamra said that, but she was also getting a blowout, so she’s not sure. Fancy Pants says she doesn’t care what Emily thinks. She’s a sh*tty friend. Emily is like, ditto, and Fancy Pants says she loved and cared about Emily, and all she does is look for holes. She’s held to a different standard. It’s kind of amusing she would say that, since she seems to hold herself to a different standard. Emily says, Fancy Pants gets to be a pretentious jerk and egocentric, and they’re supposed to just say, that’s Heather.  Fancy Pants says, just because Emily says something emphatically doesn’t make it true, and Emily says, just because Fancy Pants talks with her hands doesn’t make it true either. In Spanish, the waiter says, this is gonna take a while.

Next time, Vicki arrives to whoop it up; cliff diving and four-wheeling; Jenn asks what Tamra knows; and Tamra accuses Jenn of ruining her whole family.

💭 Jenn needs to run, and so does Emily. I can see Emily is slipping into the Housewives abyss, and her friend Gina is already there.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

I missed the beginning (on a Friday yet <sigh>), but this is how it went. Backtracking, Willow told Carly that she was surprised; Wiley had said she wasn’t his mommy. She started crying, and Michael wondered where Wiley had gotten that idea, then he looked at Nina. Chase came back with Violet, who wondered why there had been no wedding. Chase said Finn would explain tomorrow, and Gregory dropped by. Maxie thought the baby was coming, and Britt suggested they go to the hospital. Mac told Robert to keep Peter there. Peter struggled, yelling for Maxie, and Anna told him to leave Maxie alone. Then…

Peter yells for Maxie, and Britt says, Maxie is in enough pain. Peter is the last thing she needs. Anna tells him, the best thing to do for Maxie is, stay out of the way. Britt and Mac take Maxie out, Mac yelling for Peter to keep away from the hospital.

Finn asks how much Chase told Jackie, and she says she knows Anna never told Finn that Peter was her son, and her sister Alex is his mother. He says, life is funny sometimes; all the parallels you find. She says, when Chase was filling her in, she couldn’t help bite her tongue at the irony, since she’d made a similar decision. He says, there’s one big difference. She never did a test, and doesn’t know if Chase is his son. She says they’re not talking about that now; this is about him and Anna. He says, it’s not just that Anna lied; she confided in someone else. Jackie asks, who? and he says, a guy named Valentin Cassadine.

Violet asks if her grandpa knows what happened tonight, and Gregory says, it’s complicated, as adults like to say. The good news is, she didn’t miss anything. The wedding never happened. She asks, why not? Daddy loves Anna. He says, sometimes grown-ups make a big mess, and things don’t turn out the way they think they will. They can have the best intentions, and still do the wrong thing. She says she doesn’t think she wants to grow up, and I say, I’m with you, little sis.

On Franco’s phone, Drew says he’s gotten to know Franco a little bit. Through Elizabeth’s eyes, and Cameron’s eyes. They really need him. They deserve him, and he wants Franco to understand that one thing, and appreciate it.

Nina says when she realized she had a grandchild, she read all these books on how to address sensitive issues with small children, like if they’re adopted or a surrogate was used. They all said the same thing; to be honest, so it doesn’t become a secret and traumatize them later when they find out the truth. Michael asks if it never occurred to her that Wiley might be confused, and she says she didn’t mean to take anything away from Willow, or get Wiley mixed up. She was just being honest.

Peter tells Robert to let him go. Maxie is having a health emergency, and it’s their baby. He’s going to GH, and disprove Anna’s lies. Anna says, they’re not lies. Maxie is gone, and she’s the only one who will listen to him. He says, there’s no proof, and Sam says he killed Drew, but Peter repeats, there’s no proof. Robert says, not yet, and Peter asks if Robert is going to arrest him. Robert says, the time is coming. He hopes sooner rather than later.

Britt says she spoke with Maxie’s OB/GYN, and Dr. Navarro agrees that it was stress. Maxie says, ya think? and Britt says she’s going to run tests to be on the safe side. Mac says he has to tell Felicia something. She might decide to come back from Texas. Britt says, even though Nathan is gone, she’ll forever consider Maxie as her sister-in-law, and promises to take care of her. She suggests Mac wait for the results before Felicia books a flight.

Drew tells Franco, it only works if he does one thing. He needs to fight, to keep fighting like he has, and have a long life. Fight for Elizabeth and the boys, like Franco fought for himself.

Chase marvels at Gregory’s talent in telling a pirate story that’s entertaining, but gets Violet to fall asleep. Gregory says he doesn’t think about it; it just comes out. There was a lot going on today, and not in a good way. Chase says he remembers when Gregory used to tell him a story. Gregory would put his arm around Chase, and his mom would slip in beside him. Those were good times. Gregory says, it seems like he and Jackie were at their best when they were raising him. He and Chase’s mom are proud of the man he’s become. All they want is for him to be happy. Is he happy? Chase says, that depends on Willow.

Willow says he wants to put Wiley down for the night; it’s way past his bedtime. Michael tells Wiley, lights out for him, and tells Nina, they’ll talk later. He and Willow leave, and Carly closes the door. She says they need to talk, and Nina says, of course (🍷). She’s sorry Willow got her feelings hurt, but she’s not sorry for explaining how she and Wiley are related. Carly asks if she thinks it’s really a good idea to make a two and a half year old doubt the only mother he’s ever known? What the hell was she thinking?

On the phone, Mac tells Felicia that Britt is acting as Maxie’s OB/GYN, and thinks it’s stress. She’s running tests, and they should get the results tonight.

Maxie takes a sip of something, and says, wow, that’s sweet. It’s kind of like drinking straight sugar. Britt says, it’s glucola, and she needs to finish it. Then they’ll test her blood sugar to rule out gestational diabetes. Maxie finishes, and Britt says, her blood pressure is high, which is understandable due to the drama. Fortunately, it’s not so high that it’s a symptom of preeclampsia. She’s still running other tests to be sure, and she’s going to do an ultrasound to make sure the baby is okay. She asks how Maxie is doing; she seems calmer. Maxie says she was so sure it was labor, and Britt says she expects it was Braxton Hicks. It’s not uncommon in the third trimester, usually due to dehydration, which is why Maxie is on an IV. It doesn’t meant the baby will be born prematurely. Maxie says, James was. She was so scared for him, and Peter was right there. He helped her through it.

Robert says, one thing for certain, Maxie and the kid are better off without Peter. Peter says, it’s his child, and a baby needs their father. Robert says, like Peter needed Faison, and Peter says, Valentin put him in Faison’s arms. Valentin betrayed him then like he did now, but Anna also betrayed him. She knew it was a lie, and broke his heart. She says he broke hers when he burned the evidence. He says, there is no evidence. He did nothing wrong. She says she saw it with her own eyes, and he says he doesn’t need her to be his fake mommy. Maxie has faith in him. He’s going to GH, and there’s nothing they can do to stop him. Anan tells him not to go near Maxie, but he says he’ll take his chances, and leaves. Anna sits down.

On the video, Drew says he made his choice, but if he disappears, he has no choice. Cherish the family that loves him. Franco hears, no choice… no choice… and remembers Peter leaning over him (as Drew). Peter says he had no choice because he was never give one, but Helena assured him that Drew would be in good hands. Franco says, my God. It was Peter. It’s been Peter all along. Peter killed Drew.

Anna tells Robert that she doesn’t want hear about how he sounded the alarm. She insisted Peter was a changed man, but she was woefully wrong. Robert says she left out the part where Alex was Peter’s mother, and she says she’s sorry for how she acted. He says he’s going to be gracious, not his strong point. He doesn’t need an apology; Finn, on the other hand, should probably have a big one. Anna says she doesn’t think an apology is going to be enough, and Robert holds her.

Jackie says, Peter is a murderer? and Finn says, yeah. He had his doubts, but Anna always convinced him otherwise. She asks how long Anna has known, and he says she told him that she found out just before the wedding, but the fact is, she lied to him and confided in Valentin. She says, Valentin is an ex-WSB spy. Maybe Anna felt more comfortable because she worked with him. He says, maybe. He doesn’t know, but it’s not a WSB secret; it’s personal, intimate. Was Peter her son or nephew? That’s what Anna was dealing with. She says, okay, Anna lied. It happens. People forgive each other. From what she’s seen, they’re the real deal, and there’s a lot of love and respect. Can’t they get past this? Finn says he doesn’t know. They’d just started talking, and Anna got called away. Jackie takes his hand.

Dante asks if Sam is going to let Jason know what happened, and she says she’s sure he’ll find out soon enough. Too many people witnessed what happened. He asks if she wants Peter to pay for what he did, but she doesn’t know what she wants. She doesn’t think it’s a good idea for Jason to make Peter pay; nothing good could come from it for Jason or Peter. Dante asks if she thinks they’ll find evidence connecting Peter to the crime, but she doesn’t know. She says, he was a cop; tell her. He says, Peter covers his tracks well, but just because there’s no evidence no, doesn’t mean there won’t be at some point. Franco comes running in, and asks if Peter is there. Dante says, he was there, but he’s gone. Franco asks if he left the wedding, but Sam says, there was no wedding. Dante says, Peter’s crimes have finally come to light.

Peter storms into his room, and takes a gun out of the safe.

Nina tells Carly, Wiley’s family history is complicated. In retrospect she should have discussed it with Michael and Willow, and they should have explained it together. When Wiley looked at her, and asked how they were connected, she was thinking, Nelle. No matter what Nelle did, they can’t pretend she didn’t exist, or didn’t give birth to the miracle of a grandson they both share. Carly says she doubts they’ll be sharing him in the near future.

On their way downstairs, Willow tells Michael, Wiley was so fussy. She wonders if what Nina told him got him confused, and he was acting out. Michael says, Wiley is still young. It’s hard to know what’s going on in his head, but it’s important they reenforce that Willow is definitely his mother. He’s sorry it hit her so hard. She thanks him, and says she’ll be okay. She gets her coat, says she needs to get some air, and get her emotions in check, and leaves.

Britt tells Maxie, everything is fine with her daughter. She doesn’t expect any problems. Maxie asks if Britt knew about the accusations against Peter, when there’s a knock at the door. It’s Mac, who says he’s sorry, but he couldn’t wait any longer. How’s his girl? Maxie says she’s fine, and asks him to come in. He asks about the contractions, and Maxie says, Britt thinks it was Braxton Hicks. She’s sorry she made such a fuss. Mac asks if everything is really fine, and Britt says, Maxie’s blood pressure is coming down, but they’re waiting for the official test results. Mac says, so he’ll wait a little longer, and tells Britt, on behalf of the Scorpio-Jones-Devane clan, he thanks her for being there. Maxie asks him to tell Robert that she’s okay, and tell her mother things look good; they’re just waiting on the test results. Mac says he’s sorry about Peter. She knows how protective he is. Maxie says she knows. It’s not just that. A lot has been happening, she felt pain, but now it’s gone. She’s fine. He says, it’s a lot of information to take in all at once. How is she feeling about Peter?

Peter puts a clip in the gun.

Anna asks Robert if it’s an update from Mac, and he says, they’re waiting for test results, but the pain stopped. It looks like Maxie and the baby are fine. She says, thank God. She couldn’t live with herself if something had gone wrong because of tonight. If she’d just had solid proof, she would have taken Maxie aside and explained privately, but he says, even if she had proof, Maxie didn’t give a rat’s ass what anyone said tonight. He couldn’t get a clear idea of what Maxie was thinking prior to the baby trouble. Anna says neither could she. It’s concerning how confident Peter was that Maxie would side with him.

Franco says, so Peter had Drew killed, and Sam says, he practically confessed. Franco asks if he sent the assassin after him and Andre, and Dante says, he was denying it. Franco asks where Peter is now, and Dante says, Maxie went to the hospital; she thought she might be having the baby. He’s pretty sure that’s where Peter was headed. Sam asks why Franco is there, and Franco says, the voice in his head is Drew.

Anna smells her bouquet, and says she hopes Maxie accepts the truth. Otherwise, all this was for nothing. She did her best with what she had on Peter, and hopes Maxie sees him for what he really is. Robert says, face it. Maxie is having Peter’s baby. She thinks she loves him, and believes he is who he claims to be. Anna says she told Maxie that she’d be safe with Peter. She thought Maxie would be safe, but she wasn’t. She told Maxie that Peter was a good man. She sits, and says, it’s just a mask, a part Peter plays. There’s nothing good about Peter, and she doesn’t want to hear that Robert knew it. Robert takes her hands, and says, enough. She could have done better, but it is what it is. Stop beating herself up, and think of a positive solution.

Jackie says, Finn had no clue about any of it from Anna? and he says, no. He’s embarrassed to say, he thought he’d be getting married tonight. Anna knew it was never going to happen. It fell apart quickly after that. She says, when they met, he was a stickler for honesty, no matter how much the truth hurt. That’s why she didn’t question Chase’s paternity. He says, if it had turned out he was Chase’s father, they would have divulged they’d been together that night, and she says, the night that almost made her back out of marrying Gregory. He says he understands now how difficult it must have been. He thought today that he and Anna would start the first day of the rest of their lives. Instead, he found out he doesn’t know what he wants out of life. Worst of all, he has to explain it to Violet. It’s going to break his heart. He starts to leave, but she tells him, don’t go.

Gregory says, it sounds like progress for Chase and Willow, unless he’s missing part of the story. Chase says he took Willow out for a Valentine’s Day dinner. It was great, almost like it used to be, but she went home to Michael and Wiley. Gregory says, like he told Chase before, children tend to draw parents together. Inevitably, he has to accept that. Chase says Willow developed feelings for Michael, and he thinks that’s what keeping her from investing in the relationship. Gregory says he thought Willow and Michael had a marriage in name only, and Chase says, it started off that way. Gregory tells him, like he said to Violet earlier, being an adult can be messy. There’s a knock at the door, and it’s Willow. Chase asks if everything is okay, and Gregory tells her that he was just on his way out. He and Chase will talk soon. He leaves, and Chase says, tell him what’s going on. She says she’s probably overreacting, but – she starts to cry – Wiley said she wasn’t his mother. Chase wonders why Wiley said that, and Willow tells him that she was excited to let Nina be a part of Wiley’s life. It seemed right, since Wiley is her grandson, but when they were alone, Nina told him about Nelle. When Wiley said she wasn’t his mom, she couldn’t handle it. Maybe because… Chase says, because of the baby she lost? and she says, yeah. He holds her, and she says, it all comes back to that. He says he’s so sorry.

Michael goes back to the living room, and asks if everything is okay. Nina tells him that she’s really sorry. She should have discussed it with him and Willow first before she said anything. She didn’t mean to undermine Willow’s relationship with Wiley. She’d never do that. He says, not on purpose, but what happened hurt Willow’s confidence as Wiley’s mother. Nina says she’ll never do it again, and Carly asks how she can say that, when she just told Carly that they couldn’t erase Nelle from Wiley’s life? Michael says they all have the best intentions, but the timing of this bonding experiment isn’t working out. For Wiley’s sake, he thinks they should take a big step back.

Dante asks what Franco means about Drew being in his head, and Franco asks where Jason is. Dante says he thought Franco was looking for Peter, but Franco says Jason needs to know. If they see Jason before he does, tell Jason that he’s still him. He leaves, and Dante asks, what the hell was that about? Sam says, nothing good, that’s for sure.

Maxie says she doesn’t want to talk about Peter, but not with Mac. She knows how he feels about Peter, but she’d like to talk to Britt. She asks Mac to give them a minute; call her mom and let her know she’s fine. He says he’ll be outside, and leaves. Maxie says she wants to know what Britt knew, and when she knew it. Britt says she knew her mother was in town. They had a couple of secret meetings. She knew her mother had been exonerated, and according to her, Peter framed her for her crimes, but she had no proof. Maxie says, wow. She thought the pact they made with Nina at Nathan’s grave meant something. Britt says, it did, she promises. Maxie asks why Britt didn’t warn her, and Britt says she told Maxie to marry someone else. She’s not sure she believed her mother. Her mother has definitely lied in the past, but then – she sits down – Peter tricked her into logging in to the GH server. When he published Franco’s medical records, she realized there might be merit in her mother’s accusations. And if Anna and Valentin were backing her mother up, she knew it was true. Maxie says, it was their word against Peter’s, and they have no proof. Britt wonders if Maxie is actually saying she thinks Peter is innocent.

Peter runs down a back stairwell. He hears his phone ring, and stops. Someone wearing gloves comes out behind him, and raises a crowbar. We see Peter on the floor.

Anna tells Robert, she’d like to see Finn, and he asks if she’s going to see if she can salvage the relationship. She says she should do that, but first she needs to see someone else more pressing. He says, Maxie? and she says, yeah. She needs to face her goddaughter, then face Finn.

Finn tells Jackie that he’s going to get Violet, but she says, Violet is probably asleep. They can talk in the morning, after there’s time to process everything. He says he’s pretty well processed it. The only thing that will make him feel better is to see his little girl. She says when she did the story on medical students, she trusted in his ability to sort out what was going on. She wants to make sure he hasn’t forgotten. It was a reason she was so attracted to him back then, among others. He thanks her for saying that. Gregory listens from around the corner, and turns away looking pissed off.

Willow says she knew Chase would understand. It’s not just what Wiley said, but how it connected back to the child she lost. Chase says he remembers when he told her that Wiley wasn’t her biological son, and Nelle had switched the babies. Her baby had died, and his heart broke for her. It’s one of the reasons he did what he did with Sasha. He wanted to help heal her heart. Willow hugs him, and he says he’ll never hurt her again. Never.

Nina says, please, don’t let one mistake ruin a beautiful thing, but Michael says, sorry. Wiley is the first priority, and he’s already had so much upheaval. He doesn’t want Wiley confused or overwhelmed. Nina suggests he and Willow set guidelines, and she’ll follow them, but he thinks it’s best she not see Wiley for a while. Nina says, no, but he says, it’s not going to be forever. They’ll just take a pause until they can figure out the right way to handle it. She says, why not reconsider, and she’ll only visit when he and Willow are around? He says, right now, he has a confused son, and a hurt mother to consider. Nina picks up her stuff, and says she was just being honest. She leaves, and Carly says she’s sorry it came to this. He says he can’t see Willow hurt like that again.

Maxie tells Britt, to be honest, her mom and Valentin aren’t the most credible of witnesses. She doesn’t know if Peter is guilty or not, but she knows he’d never hurt her. Britt asks if Maxie is thinking of moving forward with Peter, when a nurse comes in, and says the test results came back.

Sam leaves a message for Jason, saying she’s sorry she missed him. She’s calling because all hell broke loose at the wedding, especially regarding Peter. Franco showed up, acting strange again. He was looking for Jason. She doesn’t know what’s going on, but please, just be careful.

Peter lies unconscious. Franco stands over him.

On Monday, Violet asks Chase if her daddy and Anna are getting married, Gregory asks Jackie what happened the night before the wedding, and Spinelli thinks they might have the proof to take Peter down.

🗽 Welcome Home…

Seven no-longer strangers are back in their loft, where they will be real together for six days. I saw the first episode, and it was excellent. I loved the parallels between then and now, and almost cried when Kevin spoke to Julie’s teenage daughter, and realized Julie had still been a teenager when he first met her. It looks like someone will storm out, so some things never change.
