The Walking Dead
Kelly is out in the woods. We see tattered rags on a clothesline, and a wild boar. Kelly gets her slingshot ready, but she’s having trouble hearing. The boar is down, but not dead, and she has to stab it. A zombie sneaks up on her, and she stabs that too. Zombies fall on the boar, devouring it, so Kelly has to abandon that idea. She runs, and a zombie follows. She tumbles down a hill. She’s hurt, and crawls forward. She leans against a tree, and a seriously creepy-looking zombie reaches for her from behind.
Negan looks at his reflection in the creek, and splashes water on his face. He debates drinking some, but decides not to. A voice says, gotcha. Don’t try anything. Negan turns around to see Brandon, who says, the look on his face. He was just messing with Negan. Brandon tosses him a canteen, and says Negan is fast. It took forever to catch up to him. Negan smiles. Damn he’s handsome.
Yumiko and a couple of others are still working on killing straggling zombies outside the wall. Yumiko goes inside to check in with Eugene. Aiden says Eugene has come up with a zero waste plan, and Eugene says, it seems as good a time as any to master the Pueblo art of basket weaving. On the side, Aiden suggests to Yumiko that they make weapons and catapults. She thinks it’s a good idea, just not now. Things are too complicated. Yumiko moves on, and Earl tells Aiden, the Whisperers toppled their wall with a tree, and now they’re throwing walkers at them, but they’re twiddling their thumbs. Breanna tells Yumiko that Connie was in the root cellar again in the middle of the night. Yumiko asks, who was on watch?
Yumiko goes inside her house to find Magna listening to music and reading. Yumiko shuts off the gramophone. She tells Magna that someone stole the crate of fish they got from Oceanside. Breanna said it was gone from the root cellar. Magna says, everything is strange at the moment. Yumiko says it would help if they stuck to the jobs they were given. Magna turns the music back up, and goes back to her book.
Ezekiel leans against a fence and ponders. Daryl rides in on his bike, and Siddiq follows behind on a horse. Connie waves, and signs talk later to Daryl. Ezekiel says, no sign of Negan? and Siddiq says they searched day and night, thinking about what he took from them, and they didn’t take from him. Ezekiel says they could use a hand in the infirmary, and Siddiq says they were planning on leaving tomorrow, but of course he’ll help.
A group of hunters comes back, and Connie writes, Kelly? Aiden says, she’s not there? She was tracking something, and said she’d meet them back at Hilltop. She should be back by now.
Negan cuts little sucker branches off of a big branch. Brandon whistles, and asks Negan if he got it. His dad used to tells him how the Saviors whistled back and forth. He asks how Negan got out of the cell, but Negan doesn’t say anything. Brandon says at least tell him what they’re looking for, but Negan says he wants to play it safe. Brandon says he heard how badass the Sanctuary was. Then Rick comes along, and talk about a hypocrite. He kills their parents, drags them to Alexandria, and gives them a lecture on community. He heard Negan made Rick cut his own kid’s hand off, and then killed him. Negan says he never did that. Carl was… He would never kill a kid. Brandon says they’re both Negan. Negan starts walking again. Brandon follows.
They come across a mess of barbed wire, and Brandon asks, who would do this? Negan says, the skin freaks. Brandon asks if they should cross. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Negan says, no, and a zombie comes out of nowhere, knocking Negan down. He holds it off with his newly fashioned stick, pushes it off of him. and uses the barbed wire to cut three-quarters of its head off through the mouth. Then he smashes the head with his foot. He says, thanks for the help, and Brandon says, sorry. He needed a second to wrap Negan’s gift. He holds out Lucille, wrapped in barbed wire. He says he swiped it from Alexandria, and was waiting for the right time to surprise Negan. He takes Negan’s leather jacket out of his backpack, and says, it took forever to find it. It was in the back of an old storage garage. His dad said he never saw Negan without it. Negan tells Brandon to put it in his backpack. He doesn’t want to be recognized. Brandon asks if he likes it though, and Negan says it’s a big hit.
Aaron looks around on the bridge, and hears something. He goes into the woods, and watches Gamma dispatch a zombie. She cuts it open, and blood flows into the creek. She shoves the body into the water; its entrails popping out.
Negan and Brandon stare at some zombies meandering around, and Brandon tells Negan that he’d say she’s a seven. Negan just looks at him, and he asks if this isn’t this kind of stuff the Saviors did to kill time. Negan tells Brandon that he can’t say he remembers rating walkers on their hotness. And she’s clearly a three. They hear screaming, and Negan takes off, Brandon following. Negan runs to a bus, where the screaming is coming from, and slams a zombie against the side of it. He breaks the knife in the process of stabbing it in the head. He looks at the handle, and says, you’ve got to be kidding me. He goes inside the bus, where he finds a woman screaming and fending off several zombies. Negan kills one, and she takes down another. Negan smashes the third zombies head in the bus door until there’s nothing left. A little boy peeks out from behind one of the seats. Brandon says, damn. Classic Negan.
Connie and Daryl search the woods for Kelly. Daryl says it’s not her fault, but Kelly signs that she should have gone with Kelly. Daryl asks if he’s told her about his brother Merle. One time Merle took him fishing on a big lake that was private property, in a boat that was stolen. Merle was drinking and fishing, and fell in the lake. Daryl had to swim back to shore while holding onto Merle. He saved Merle’s life, and know what he says? He writes, Dummy, go get the beer. Connie laughs, and he says, idiot, right? He tells her it’s going to be all right, and Dog barks. I always get nervous when dog is on screen
They see the rock from Kelly’s slingshot, and the remains of the boar. Daryl almost shoots Magna, who comes from another direction. Kelly gives Magna a questioning look, and Magna shakes her head.
Yumiko says she should be out there with them, and Aiden says if she was lost in the woods, who would she want to find her? Somebody has to come back with her. Killjoy Earl asks if Aiden really thinks Kelly is okay, and Aiden says he hopes so. Earl says, what about them? The tree didn’t fall on its own. He thinks they might be coming back with something worse. Isn’t Aiden thinking about them at all? Aiden says, after what happened to his family, he thinks night and day about them. Earl says, don’t stop.
Ezekiel tells Siddiq, they took a quarter of the medical supplies. Ezekiel holds a metal tiger, and Siddiq says he’s sorry. Ezekiel says Henry forged it during his apprenticeship. He has a sudden coughing fit, and Siddiq says, that doesn’t sound good, but Ezekiel says, it’s nothing. The regular slings and arrows. Siddiq says it could be from smoke inhalation, and reaches out to touch Ezekiel, who slaps his hand away. Ezekiel tells Siddiq that he said he was fine. After a moment, Ezekiel pulls down his sweater to reveal a protrusion on his neck, saying, it’s grown. Siddiq touches Ezekiel’s neck, and says, it could be a lot of things, but Ezekiel says he knows what it is. Siddiq says, without a test, he can’t be sure, but Ezekiel says he knows. Siddiq sits, and Ezekiel says when he was growing up, his grandmother had it, and so did his father. The pain, the coughing, and swelling; he watched them fight it and win. There was 98% survival rate for thyroid cancer with the treatments that were out there. Now, they both know what it means. Siddiq says, it can be managed; acupuncture, hypnosis… He’s struggling with own condition. He can’t stand how everyone looks to him for some kind of answers. Maybe Ezekiel can’t get away from it, but they can talk about it. What are they there for if not for each other?
Amelia, the woman on the bus, tells Negan that she and Milo have been walking for weeks, since the Whisperers scattered everyone from their camp to the four winds. They went back to what it was before, and what it is in the end, moving from place to place, surviving. Brandon says he’s been there. Amelia asks if Milo wants to walk, and Brandon says, be safe. When they’re gone, Brandon says he knows what Negan is thinking. Negan says, people are a resource, but Brandon says, not them. He starts to go after them, and Negan grabs him, shoving him into a seat. He says he appreciates what Brandon has done for him since he left Alexandria, but it’s only going to get more dangerous from there. It’s best for him to go on alone, and Brandon should go home. Brandon says, okay, but if he goes back, everyone will want know where he’s been. What is he supposed to say? He’s never been a great liar. Negan laughs, and asks if Brandon planned that. He can go wherever the hell he wants. Brandon can go back to Alexandria and tell the whole world exactly where he is. He doesn’t give a sh*t, as long as doesn’t have to see that creepy pasty-ass face of Brandon’s again. Brandon says Negan is just like all the others. He grabs his bag, and gets off the bus.
Alpha watches as a Whisperer slices the face of off a zombie. She says, the ears are tricky. (I find out later on Talking Dead, that this is actually the zombie Kelly killed in the beginning scene.) Gamma approaches, and Alpha touches her face, saying she has something for Gamma. Gamma says she just came back from the creek, and Beta says, another one lost. Alpha says, strategy takes time. If they treat the water, and build a dam of zombies, it will crush them. A Whisperer wants to talk to Alpha, and Beta grumbles, but Alpha tells him to speak his piece. He says instead of what she’s doing, why not cut their enemies down all at once? Alpha asks if anyone agrees, and gets silence. She says, there’s democracy for you, and slices his hamstring. The Whisperer falls to his knees, and she says, the human body is fragile. All it takes to collapse it are a few nicks in the right spot. He makes a feeble attempt to stab her, and she slices his arm. She says, the strong ones know where to come to be safe, and hands Beta her knife. Beta slits the Whisperer’s throat, and Alpha says Gamma wanted another guardian.
Milo plays with a toy plane, and Negan asks how he is, telling Milo that he doesn’t bite. Milo’s mom it packing, so he has time to kill. Milo asks where Brandon is, and Negan says, he went looking for supplies. He tells Milo that he’s going to be rea; he told Brandon to get lost. It turns out he’s not the best co-pilot, if Milo catches his drift. He says Brandon doesn’t, does he? He’s never been on a plane. It’s not Milo’s fault that God turned the world into an ass pit before he was born. It feels like you’ve been sitting on the runway forever, and suddenly you hear a groan. The plane creeps along, moving faster and faster, until everything out the window turns into a blur. The wheels come up, and you’re flying, like voodoo magic. Up and up, higher and higher, until it’s like you’re floating on top of the world. The houses and cars look like toys. The food is a no. He was served beef stroganoff that looked like baby sh*t. There’s so much Milo is going to miss growing up in a screwed up world. Driving his first set of wheels, video games, nut tapping. He explains that you catch a guy off-guard. Keep your wrist loose, and snap your fingers on their nuts. You can’t go too low or too high, or you’ll get nothing but d*ck. He has Milo demonstrate the technique, and says he’s a natural. If nut tapping was a sport, Milo would be in the hall of fame. He tells Milo a fire isn’t happening without wood. Is he packed? Milo says he is, and Negan says he knows it sucks, but tells him mom that Negan knows a place where they’ll probably take them in. It has high walls, farmland, and has a mansion in the middle. They can’t tell who brought them there, but he’ll get them as close as he can. There’s one condition. Milo has to keep his fingers holstered when Negan’s nuts are around. Deal? Milo says, deal, and they high-five.
Gamma walks with the new zombie to the creek. She stabs him again and again, remembering throwing her sister into the zombie horde, and seeing Alpha kill the Whisperer. She’s stabbing so aggressively, she ends up cutting herself, and dropping the knife in the water. Aaron sees, and tosses her a bandage wrap. He says, it’s okay; it’s for her hand. He tells her that his name is Aaron. He knows they don’t do names anymore, but she’s got to be from somewhere. He’s from Vermont. Gamma jets, and he says, you’re welcome.
Connie and Daryl continue to search. Dog barks, and they find Kelly passed out, leaning against the tree. Connie wakes her up, and asks if she’s okay. Kelly signs that she couldn’t hear before, but she’s fine now. Magna gives Kelly some water, but she chokes on it. Connie signs that they have to get back to Hilltop. Daryl thinks they need to find somewhere closer. Connie walks over to a brush pile, and uncovers a big box of supplies. Daryl asks if she knew about this, and Connie takes a medical kit out of the box. She signs something to Magna, and Daryl asks what she said. Magna tells him that Connie doesn’t trust her. Daryl says Hilltop took them in. They have sick children and mouths to feed, and she steals from them. All she’s good for is talking sh*t. Connie writes not to tell them. Let her handle it.
Negan carries a small pile of wood in his arms. He hears whistling, and sees Brandon. Brandon says, that’s it, right? Negan drops the wood, and sees that Amelia and Milo are dead; their bodies next to the bus. Brandon says he remembers Negan kicked people out, but he was messing with them; keeping them in line. He realized this was a test. Negan said it was going to get a lot more dangerous, because he wanted to make sure Brandon had the balls to do what had to be done. Brandon looks at the bodies, and says, what does he think? Negan picks up a big rock, and Brandon turns around, saying, I passed. I am Negan. Negan slams the rock into Brandon’s head, and pounds his head to a pulp. He takes Lucille and his jacket, and walks.
Daryl returns with Connie, Kelly, and Magna. Yumiko runs to them, and asks, what happened? Connie signs that she’ll explain later.
Dante jokes to Siddiq on the radio. He says either Siddiq’s mic is out or he’s laughing balls off. He says he’s still there, and asks how Rosita is. Dante says he didn’t want to tell Siddiq, but she got a bump. She’ll be fine. Siddiq says he’ll leave for home tonight. He asks if Carol is around, and Dante says he’ll grab her. Ezekiel takes Siddiq’s place at the mic. He touches the metal tiger, and listens to Carol’s footsteps coming toward the radio. He shuts the radio off. Not that it’s ever in a happy place, but this show is just heartbreaking tonight.
Yumiko tells Magna it’s scary to think, but they probably wouldn’t have made it if they hadn’t found that stash. It sounds like they were far off the main road. Magna tells her, say it. Yumiko thinks she stole the supplies and hid them out there. Yumiko says, it wouldn’t be the first time, and Magna says Yumiko has thought she was selfish and stupid for the past thirteen years. That’s how she looked at Magna the day she showed up in her fancy suit. Yumiko says she was thinking, here’s an innocent person locked up for a crime she didn’t commit, and she’s never trusted anyone because no one trusted her. She was mad at everyone. Magna says her cousin was a little girl who had to go on living life when nobody came for him. So she did it. There it is. (For clarification: A man sexually assaulted Magna’s young cousin, and she killed him.) Magna tells Yumiko, they’ve both killed how many? and still that look.
Gamma approaches Alpha, and shows Alpha her bandaged hand. She says, the man with the metal arm gave to her. Seated on the ground, Alpha says, shh, and Gamma sits next to her. Alpha takes Gamma’s mask off, saying, different masks for different times. It’s kind of a sacrifice, like Gamma sacrificed her sister. Gamma says Alpha’s sacrifice was much greater, and Alpha says, the man with the metal arm could be useful. Gamma might just have to wear a new mask.
Connie walks through the stables, and hangs up a lantern. Daryl is there with his bike, and she asks if he’s leaving. He says he has to go back, and asks if Kelly is okay. Connie smiles and nods. She writes, sorry about Magna and Kelly asking him to lie for them. Daryl makes the sign for family, and Connie smiles. He gets on his bike, and she signs goodbye. He rolls out, whistling for Dog to follow.
Negan walks through the woods, wearing his jacket, and carrying Lucille. He walks past the barbed wire, and says, hey, sacks of sh*t, what does he have to do to get something to eat? Are they all scared of the big bad wolf? Little pigs, little pigs, let me in. (Which is what he also said when he first went to Alexandria.) He sees some zombies and says, there they are. He’s done talking. He whacks one with Lucille, and says he’s gonna blow their asses all the way home. He wallops a few more, and gets knocked down by Beta, who’s there with some Whisperers. I say, oh sh*t, and Negan says, all right, you big ass freak. Let’s do this.
Next time, Carol takes her gun and goes out walking, Alpha wants to test Negan, and Negan says he wants to join the Whisperers. They’re a survivor’s wet dream.

General Hospital
Ava tells the masked stranger, she knew the minute she saw him that he was the man stalking her. The man everyone said wasn’t there. Yet here he is. She wants to find out who he is. She tells him to take off his mask, and he does. She says, Nikolas? He says, Nikolas Mikail Stavrosovich Cassadine. She says, impossible. She watched him die. He says, yet here he is. In the flesh. He catches her as she faints, and says he thought she’d be happy.
Hayden tells Jax, the painting could have sold by now, and he says there would be a recent transaction on file. Elizabeth comes by, and asks how Violet is. Hayden says, hanging in there. Elizabeth tells Jax that she’s glad Cameron and Josslyn decided to go to the Halloween party. They can use a night out with friends after what they’ve been through. He says, being normal teenagers is the best thing for them.
Trina tries to tell Lulu that Josslyn has the flu, and where would she get liquor anyway? Dev helps Cameron out to the deck, saying, there’s got to be another way off the boat. Cameron face plants, then looks around. Dustin picks up the soda bottle, sniffs it, and asks if Cameron is looking for something.
Sonny thanks Brad and Lucas for taking Avery trick or treating. They talk about the kids dressing up, and how much fun it was. Sonny says they’re not going to be there when they have to tell Avery that Wiley isn’t staying forever. Carly is glad the kids are surrounded by people they love and trust. Brad says, speaking of trust, there’s something he needs to tell them. Nelle invited him to attend her parole hearing, and he went.
At the MetroCourt, Julian asks if bartender Kip isn’t an actor. He says he is, and Julian says he’s seen him around, and he’s good. He hears Kip takes on gigs, and he has a pretty major part. Kip asks if it’s the lead; he’s been hoping to branch out to something more substantial. Julian says, the whole plot rests on him.
At the MetroCourt, Nina asks how dare anyone imply she’s treating Sasha unfairly? Sasha lied to her for over a year, used her, and took advantage of her deepest and most painful loss. How would Michael like it if twenty years down the road, someone tells lies about the child he lost? Michael asks why Nina thinks Sasha was in it by herself, and Nina says Sasha told everyone. I love how she calls Sasha the biggest liar in the world, but that one, she believes. She says she likes Michael, but standing by Sasha’s side doesn’t speak well of his intentions. She doesn’t think the shareholders will like it. Willow says, will you stop?
Laura tells Valentin that she thinks his time is just about over as head at the Cassadine table. He asks who’s going to take it from him? Spencer? If Spencer decides he’s a legitimate threat, then like he told her before, he’s going to handle Spencer like he’s a threat.
Ava opens her eyes, but Nikolas is gone. She calls out to him, and looks around, but he’s nowhere to be found.
Hayden tells Jax that the painter is a respected artist, and the portrait is worth a lot of money. Jax says, if it’s anywhere, it’s at the gallery. He calls Laura, and tells her Helena’s portrait may have found its way to Ava’s gallery. Laura asks, how? and he says he’ll explain later. If it’s there, they need to get it before it sells. She says she’ll swing by on her way home. The gallery is close, but if it’s on display, it will be in the window.
Willow says what Sasha did to Nina was horrible. Everybody feels bad about her pain. Nina days she doesn’t need their sympathy, but Willow continues, saying Nina is far from perfect. Shiloh would have never known her son existed. Nina threatens to get a restraining order against both Sasha and Willow, but Michael suggests Nina discuss it with her fiancé before the next confrontation. Somebody needs to help her see the light. The couples all walk away from each other, and Sasha tells Michael that she knows what he’s doing, and she wants him to stop.
Carly asks why Brad went to Nelle’s hearing. Brad says he wouldn’t call Nelle a friend. She’s possibly the most evil person he knows, but he’s been the town pariah, and wouldn’t wish it on anyone. His compassion got the best of him, but he knows she deserves to be where she is. Carly says, his compassion? Nelle is a master manipulator. Her phone rings, and she steps aside to take the call. It’s Lulu. Brad says he wants Sonny to know that he and Lucas had a long talk, and he knows where his loyalty lies. Sonny says, it’s important to keep those things clear. Carly thanks Lulu for taking care of it, and says Sonny is leaving now. Sonny asks if he heard his name, and Carly says he has to go to the Haunted Star immediately.
Lulu tells Josslyn that her parents are on their way. Josslyn says she’ll see Trina when she’s thirty. Dustin says, what about Dev? Dev says Dustin can’t question him without an attorney. Dustin says he’s not a cop, and Dev isn’t under arrest, so that doesn’t come into play. But thanks for trying. Unfortunately, he’s going to have to turn Dev in for his part in this. Um… what part? Helping Cameron outside to get air?
Sonny shows up, and Josslyn says, kill her now. He says, and deprive her mom of the pleasure? No way. He tells Dev not to talk until they get home. Elizabeth arrives, and thanks Dustin. She says, it looks like she needs to have a long talk with Cameron. Cameron says, that’s okay. It means he gets to go home, and can lie down. Elizabeth says the last place they’re going is home, and leads him down the stairs.
On the phone, Carly tells Jax, they have to present a united front; it’s important. He says he’ll see her soon. Brad asks Carly where Lucas is, and she says he went to check on Wiley. Brad says he wanted to talk to her alone. He apologizes if his visit to Nelle made her think twice about him. She says she hates it. A phone call or a letter would be too much, but to show support for her getting out? As long as there’s breath in Nelle’s body, she’s a danger to Carly’s family. She can’t imagine why he’d want to continue the connection. Brad says he’s in a good place with Lucas, and Lucas made it clear how he feels. Carly says, so did she. The ball is in his court; play it wisely. Brad tells her that everything he does is out of love for Lucas and their son.
Chase tells Willow that she was hot when she was calling out Nina. She says she can’t stand bullies, and obviously has untapped rage. Nina can’t get her fired now, so she has no reason to nice or cordial, or not to put maple syrup in Nina’s gas tank. He reminds her that he’s still a cop, and she says what if she gets someone else to do it, and he can be her alibi. He says he’s down for that. Sasha tells Michael, she saw that look. He says he went to Valentin, and said if Valentin didn’t get Nina to relent about Sasha, he’d personally make sure Valentin goes down with her.
Valentin says he knows Nina wants revenge, but what will it accomplish? She says, justice, but Valentin says, Sasha is nobody, a nothing, a con artist. She had one easy score, and it’s kind of their fault. Nina asks, how? and he says they wanted believe it so bad, they were easy marks. It’s not easy for him to admit, and he’s exhausted by this. Sasha this, and Sasha that. She’s been uncovered; move on, and don’t give her one more moment. They need to drop the crosses and pitchforks, and move on with their family, and the love and happiness they so richly deserve.
On the phone with the PCPD, Ava insists on being put through to the mayor. Laura walks in, and Ava hangs up. she asks Laura if he’s called. Does Laura know where he is? Laura asks, who? and Ava says, Nikolas. He was just here.
Carly tells Jax, Sonny will be back any minute, and he asks how she wants to play this. She says they agree it’s unacceptable, and he says, absolutely, and there will be consequences. She says, damnstraight. Sonny comes in, and tells Dev to go upstairs. They’ll talk later. Jax asks Josslyn to tell them what happened, and she says, she was stupid. Carly says they all agree on that. Who else was involved? Josslyn says, Cameron, but it’s not his fault. He was trying to help. They thought it would make things easier, and they could just forget and have fun. She suddenly runs upstairs to the bathroom, and Carly shakes her head.
Laura tells Ava, she was surprised to find her at the gallery, and Ava says, remember how she said she thought she was being watched? It turned out she was right. She saw a man at the MetroCourt in a mask. Laura says Ava knows it’s Halloween, right? Ava says he was staring at her, and followed her to the gallery, but she was ready for him. She made him think she was leaving, but she surprised him. She had him at gunpoint, and told him to take off his mask. He wasn’t a stranger. It was Nikolas. Laura tears up, and says she wishes it was true. Ava says Laura’s not listening. Her son is alive. Laura says Ava knows that’s impossible. Ava says she watched Valentin shoot him, and watched him fall into the sea, but it’s true. Nikolas is alive. He’s come back to them. Laura wishes Ava was right, and again Ava says she’s not listening, but Laura says Ava isn’t listening. Nikolas is gone, and that’s the painful truth. Ava says she saw him standing where Laura is, and he was very, very real.
Sasha asks why Michael didn’t come to her, and he says he knew what she’d say. She says, so he ignored her wishes? He says it wasn’t her idea to pretend to be Nina’s daughter. None of it was her plan. She says, it was supposed to be a drive-by; she wasn’t supposed to get involved, and just go away quickly. It was her choice to stick around and get in deeper, and she has to face the consequences. She won’t allow Nina to get more hurt in the process.
Nina asks if Valentin is suggesting she walk away after all the anger and pain Sasha put her through. Think of Charlotte. She loved her stepsister, and they saw how crushed she was. Valentin says if they go to trial, Nina will have to testify, but so might Charlotte. Is that something they want to put themselves through?
Sonny tells Jax that he can leave. Jax says Sonny got Dev upstairs pretty fast, but Sonny says he didn’t think Josslyn would want an audience. Dev was sober; he had nothing to do with it. Sonny doesn’t think he even knew Josslyn and Cameron were drinking. Jax says they both agree it was agree it was out of character for Josslyn. Sonny asks how old Jax was when he had his first beer; twenty one? Jax says the legal age in Australia is eighteen, but he didn’t wait. Sonny says, what a coincidence; neither did he.
Hayden sees Elizabeth bringing Cameron into the hospital, and asks if everything is okay. Elizabeth says it’s fine, but Hayden can see it’s not. She says the morning isn’t going to be kind to Cameron, and Cameron says he wants to lie down. Elizabeth tells Hayden that Cameron got drunk on the Haunted Star, and they’re there because she hadn’t finished her shift. Hayden says at least he picked somewhere classy to get hammered. Cameron laughs, and Hayden suggests Elizabeth hook him up to some IV fluids. They’ll help sober him up, and he’ll be good as new in the morning. Cameron thinks that sounds like a good idea, but Elizabeth doesn’t want to deprive him of his first hangover. And when she drags him out of bed in the morning, he’ll have extra chores before he sees the principal.
Chase is surprised to see Julian away from Charlie’s on Halloween, but Julian says he’s not the biggest fan of the holiday. Willow says she has something that might change his mind, and shows him a picture of Wiley in a dinosaur costume, saying he has the cutest roar. Julian is glad Brad and Lucas are having some family time. Brad seems preoccupied all the time lately. Kip asks if there’s anything else he can do for Julian, and Julian suggests a celebratory drink. Chase asks what they’re celebrating, and Julian says, Wiley, and all the happy Halloweens he has to follow.
Sitting at an outside table I don’t recognize, Lucas says he’s proud of Brad for talking to Carly. He knows it wasn’t easy. Brad says Lucas was right; it’s better to be honest. Nothing is more important to him than Lucas and Wiley, and he wants to make sure Lucas knows how much he loves them. They kiss, and Brad says he wants to grab a coffee. He goes inside, and his phone dings. Lucas debates internally, then picks up the phone and looks. He doesn’t look happy.
Ava suggests they look at the security footage, and goes to get the memory card from the front entrance. She trots off, and Laura sniffs Ava’s glass. She calls Jax, and says she’s at the gallery. He asks if she found something, but she says, there’s been a complication. Ava is there, and she’s acting irrationally. Jax asks, in what way? and Laura , she thinks Nikolas is alive and came to visit her. Jax says, sorry. It must be hard on Laura. He asks if she wants him to come and handle it, but Laura says she’s fine. She just wants him to know that she doesn’t think it’s a good idea for him and Hayden to come poking around looking for the portrait. Ava has come back, and stands behind Laura. Jax says he understands, and Laura says she’ll call him back. Ava says she’s got it, and looks on her computer. She doesn’t understand. She heard him and saw him. Laura says, but there’s no proof, and Ava says Laura thinks she’s crazy.
Brad can tell something is wrong, and tells Lucas, he was gone for two minutes; what happened? Lucas says Brad got a text, and Brad asks, who from? Lucas asks Brad to tell him. Who’s sending him naked pictures? He shows Brad the phone, and Brad drops the coffee, the cups shattering on the ground.
Kip tells Julian, the falcon has left the nest. Julian laughs, and says, what? and Kip says, Elvis is enroute to the coliseum. He sent the picture. Julian gives him some money, and gets up to go. He tells Kip, one more thing. His shirt is untucked.
While Josslyn worships the porcelain throne, Carly says she just got off the phone with Elizabeth; always a pleasure. Is Josslyn feeling okay? Josslyn says she stopped throwing up; that’s a win. Carly asks, what happened? and Josslyn says she’s in pain. Carly asks why Josslyn didn’t come to her, and Josslyn asks what Carly could have done. She’s the one who lost the watch Oscar gave her, and she’s the one who didn’t notice it was gone. She promised to love him forever, and she lost the last thing he gave her. Carly asks if she got drunk to make herself feel better, and Josslyn says she thought it would take the edge off. Carly says Josslyn will feel better. It will take forever, but one day she’ll wake up, and realize she’s felt better for a while. It won’t make sense; it’s weird. Josslyn asks if they’re going to talk about her punishment now, and Carly says Josslyn got drunk at a school function. She’ll have to face the principal, and take whatever punishment he doles out. Josslyn asks, what about dad? and Carly says the three of them will have a long talk, but not tonight. She asks if Josslyn wants to go to bed, but she wants to stay there a little longer.
Sonny asks if there’s anything Dev wants to tell him, but Dev says he didn’t know until right before Cameron and Josslyn got caught. He’d never go along with something that would be bad for Josslyn.
Elizabeth asks what Cameron was thinking. He’s on probation, and he’s been before the judge twice this year. How much more trouble is he trying to get into? Cameron says the last time he was in court, Franco was by his side, and they were there because of what Cameron did for Oscar. Everything circles back to Franco, and now he can’t do a normal party like a normal kid. What is he going to talk about? Look how hot those cheerleaders are. Hey, my stepdad sacrificed his life for me. Elizabeth knows it’s hard for him, and Cameron says he thought it would be nice to forget for a while. Josslyn felt the same way. They tried pushing their lives back to the way it was, and maybe that’s as close as they’re going to get. He’s really sorry. Elizabeth says she keeps thinking… He could have passed out, and fallen in the water. He realizes that, and can’t believe how stupid he was. Elizabeth says, it’s a stupid age. He’ll get through it. They’ll get through it together.
Laura tells Ava that she knows what it’s like when the line between fantasy and reality blur. Ava says, it’s not a fantasy. Nikolas was here. Laura says Ava is in a lot of pain, and she’s been talking about finding a way to reach Kiki. Maybe… Ava says, this has nothing to do with Kiki. The feeling she had that someone was watching her has been going on for a month or so. That’s how long he’s been out there, watching. Laura says, it’s one thing to feel it, and another to start thinking people are coming back from the dead. Ava says Laura is his mother. Doesn’t she want to see him? Laura says, so much, every day, but she can’t. That’s wishful thinking. Ava says she saw him at the MetroCourt, and he followed her there. Laura says she saw him at the MetroCourt? Laura was there. Doesn’t Ava think he would talk to her? Ava sits, and says she knows what she saw. Laura says she believes Ava believes she saw him. She takes Ava’s hand, and tells Ava, she has to say it. Ava can’t go on like this much longer. She needs to get help. Ava cries, and asks if Laura will help. Laura holds Ava while she cries.
Brad tells Lucas that he has no idea who sent that. He asks if they can talk somewhere else, but Lucas says it’s as good a place as any to find out his husband is sexting with someone else. Brad says, it’s one random number; an accident. Lucas says, like the flowers, and Brad says, for the billionth time, he doesn’t know who sent them. He loves Lucas, and wishes Lucas would trust him. Lately his mind has been somewhere else. Lucas says, apparently, on someone else, but Brad says, there’s no one else. He reaches for Lucas, and Lucas says, don’t touch him.
Laura calls Julian, who says he’ll be right there. He leaves, and Willow says, Brad’s not the only one with a lot on his mind. Chase says, Julian seemed worried. He says Willow knows Brad, and asks if Brad has a right to be concerned, and Willow says, maybe, but Julian’s not the type to worry for no reason.
Cameron sleeps on one of the benches, and Hayden asks Elizabeth how he’s doing. Elizabeth says, he’ll live. She wants to let Hayden know that she and Violet can come live with them. Cameron lifts his head up, and asks, who’s coming to live with them? Elizabeth says his Aunt Hayden and cousin Violet. He says, he has a cousin Violet? and Elizabeth says she’ll tell him about it when he’s sober. Go back to sleep. Hayden looks at her phone, and says it’s a work emergency. Elizabeth says, at this hour? and Hayden says, the media never sleeps. She doesn’t want to interrupt Finn, and asks Elizabeth, if she sees him, tell him she’ll be back as soon as possible. Cameron says, he has a cousin? and Elizabeth says, she’ll tell him about it later. She’s going to see Finn, and when she gets back, they’re gong home. Lay back down.
Michael tells Sasha, if she’s so hellbent on protecting Nina, why is she encouraging Nina to be with a man who won’t do that?She says Nina and Charlotte love Valentin, and she’s not going to be the one who destroys that. Nina and Valentin approach them, and Nina tells Sasha not to say anything; just listen. She and Valentin have been talking, and even though Sasha doesn’t deserve mercy, she’s decided to drop the charges. Valentin looks at Michael.
Sonny asks Carly, how’s Josslyn? and Carly says, she’s over the rough part, but the morning won’t be pretty. Upstairs, Josslyn hears Oscar’s song lyrics – it’s never goodbye.
Cameron asks Elizabeth if he can stay there. He did this to himself, but to be honest, it’s not good for Jake or Aiden to see, and the car ride might be dicey. Elizabeth says they’re going to talk about consequences at length in the morning, but tonight, he’s going home. She hands him a barf bag, and he says, don’t say car sick. Elizabeth says she’s glad he’s okay, and they leave.
Chase says he doesn’t know Brad that well, but if Willow says there’s something off… She says Brad has been anxious since she’s known him, but for some reason, it’s gotten worse. At the bar, Kip counts the money.
Lucas says he doesn’t want to hear that Brad loves him, but Brad says, it’s the truth. He’s been doing everything to prove himself. Lucas says Brad still changed his password, and Brad says, he told Lucas… Lucas says, the biggest lie. The flowers, anonymous nudes; he has no idea what Brad really thinks. He knows the name. Admit it, and stop lying. Just tell him that he’s having an affair.
Sasha starts to thank Nina, but Nina says she asked Sasha not to say anything. She wants to be clear. Don’t mistake this for forgiveness. She’ll never forgive Sasha. She just wants to scrape Sasha off the bottom of her shoe. Michael says, enough, and Nina says, he thinks so? She lost a daughter that she loves, and a year of her life she’ll never get back. She’s glad Michael thinks it’s enough, but she sure as hell doesn’t. Valentin says he thinks they’ve reached the level of diminishing returns, and tells Nina, let’s go. When they’re out of earshot, Michael asks Sasha if she’s positive she wants Valentin to walk away unscathed. She says, if that’s what it takes for Nina to be happy. Michael hugs her, as Valentin hugs Nina, and Valentin and Sasha lock eyes.
Julian and Laura bring Ava to Shadybrook. She signs a form, and Laura takes her hand. Ava takes off her shoes and jewelry, and puts them in a bin. Julian hugs her, then Laura hugs her. Ava goes off with the nurse.
Jax lets Hayden into the house where Nina stayed the night of her wedding. She asks what the change in plans is, and he says, there’s been an unexpected complication. Nikolas walks out.
On Monday, Brad says he’d never cheat on Lucas, Sasha tells someone that she took the blame, and Jax tells Nikolas once it stops being attractive he’s out.

👻 Due to decorating and preparing for little monsters demanding candy, today’s GH recap will be less detailed, since I was quickly watching it at 2 am. A disappointment or a blessing – you decide. While we used to get 80 to 100+ kids, sadly, the powers that be have decided trick-or-treaters over the age of twelve, can be hit with a misdemeanor. Now we get half the kids. No surprise that NJ government has figured out yet another way to poop on everyone’s party. Hope the editing isn’t too wonky. God knows I am, and I only ate one Kit-Kat bar. Moving on…
General Hospital
The first thing we see is a dude taking a shower. We don’t see his face, but we see a signet ring on the vanity. Could it be…?
Chaperoning the PCHS Halloween Dance, Dustin is dressed as a busker. Cameron (a 50s teen), Josslyn (an 80s teen), Trina (an angel), and Dev (a football player) arrive together. No surprise, Lulu comes as Mary Poppins.
Neil shows up to keep an eye on Alexis at the hospital, relieving Ruth Bader Ginsburg and her boyfriend, Captain America, so they can go to the MetroCourt. At the MetroCourt, Kendra shows up, dressed as a mermaid. Valentin continues to yap to Nina about how important Helena’s portrait must be, and Ava has her listening ears on, as Judge Judy would say. Jax wonders if the treasure isn’t in the painting, but is the painting. Laura thinks it would be just like Helena to have them chase their tails when what they’re looking for is right in front of them. Laura wants to be the one to bring Valentin down. She couldn’t bear to lose Spencer the way she lost Nikolas.
Funny how in the next scene, we see the dude with the ring again. And we see a mask. Could it be…?
Sam meets her cellmate. It’s Cassandra. I find it a little hard to believe that Cassandra would act like a streetfighter, but okay.
Cameron and Josslyn commiserate. They both wish it was two years ago. Cameron tells Josslyn he has a way to make the dance more bearable, and shows her his hidden liquor.
Buzz Lightyear (Chase) and Cowgirl Jessie (Willow) arrive at the MetroCourt.
Jordon continues to worry about TJ and Molly committing too soon.
Valentin whines that Laura sees something he doesn’t in the portrait. Ava thinks perhaps there’s more the painting than she thought. The dude from the shower with the ring arrives wearing the mask. Jax wants to talk to Hayden, but she’s busy at the hospital.
Cassandra acts large, in charge, and immediately tries to walk all over Sam.
Valentin asks Ava what a painting by J. Garrin might be worth. She says five figures, unless it’s a puzzle, asking if the painting of Helena might contain a secret message. Laura literally runs into Nikolas the masked dude.
Josslyn wonders what Cameron is doing with liquor, and he says he thought it would make the dance more fun, or at least easier for them. She’s not sure that’s the way to go, especially since he’s on probation. She also reminds him that they’re at the dance with Trina and Dev. Ava calls Trina, wondering about the receipt for the painting, and Trina tells her that Dev got it from the trash barge, but they’d said it was okay for him to take it. Laura apologizes to the masked dude, and he says nothing, following Ava to the elevator. The doors close before he can get in.
Molly introduces herself and TJ to Kendra, saying Alexis raves about her all the time. TJ adds, Alexis swears by the results of the supplement Kendra gave her. Kendra describes it as, the right amount of elements to put the world in order.
Neil offers Alexis a ride home. Hayden apologizes to Finn again. He’s still trying to wrap his head around the fact that his daughter even exists. Hayden says, going forward, she wants Violet to be closer to her father.
Sam tells Cassandra that she has to prep for her trial. Cassandra says they have her dead to rights, on two continents, and in the Caribbean. Sam asks what Cassandra did, and Cassandra asks, here, or in the Hague? Sam asks who she is, and she says, Cassandra Pierce, but Sam can call her boss.
Finn asks what part he’s going to play in Violet’s life, and she asks, what part does he want to play?
Ava checks out the portrait again, remarking, Trina was right; it is creepy. She wonders why anyone would want Helena on their wall, and why so many are interested in her portrait.
Sasha tries to be nice to Nina, but she’s not having it. She thanks Sasha for reminding her of what she lost and she’ll never have again. She doesn’t even want to look at Sasha, but says she’ll soon be in prison. Unless Michael buys her freedom. Willow interrupts, telling Nina, that’s enough.
Curtis thinks Jordan is comparing TJ and Molly to her own life, and marrying too young. She admits they’re more mature than she was, but says that still doesn’t mean they should get married so young.
Lulu tells Dustin about traveling the world when she was a kid. She’s happy to have settled down now, and asks Dustin if he’s happy, and did he always want to be a teacher. He tells her that he had ideas for his life, but life had other plans. Cameron talks Josslyn into partaking, but she wants to drink outside. Trina tries to chat up Dev. Dev notices Cameron and Josslyn are gone, and Trina kisses him. He says he likes her, just not in that way. I go, ugh. Nobody wants to hear that. She says his loss, and asks if he’s interested in someone else.
Cameron and Josslyn drink on deck. They talk about Oscar and Franco. Cameron says he’s not allowed to miss Franco, because he has look out for his mom and brothers. Josslyn tells him about journaling. He asks what she’ll write about tonight, and she tells him, it could have been worse, but it wasn’t. Because of him.
Jordan isn’t sure Molly and TJ are up to the challenge of mixed race children. She wants at least one of them to move away, and have more life experience first. Curtis says she likes Molly. What if TJ picks someone she doesn’t like? She says she’d have to respect his choice, and Curtis wonders why that doesn’t apply here. She said her piece. Now it’s up to TJ and Molly, but it’s not a done deal. When Stella hears about it, she’ll have something to say, and Jordan can let her take the fire.
TJ goes to catch up with Jordan, and Molly tells Kendra about Alexis being in the hospital.
Neil says a teeny part of him was glad to find out Alexis was really sick, and not faking it to get rid of him. Hayden tells Finn he can be what he wants to Violet. It’s up to him, and she’ll go along with whatever he decides. Jax shows up at the hospital, and Hayden explains Violet got sick, and Finn now knows he’s her father. He tells Hayden that they have a theory as to where the codicil might be.
Ava talks to someone about the portrait. She’s going to have it appraised, but needs to safeguard her investment. She tells Helena’s portrait, maybe she’ll finally bring more than heartache and heartbreak. Things are starting to turn around.
Dustin asks if Lulu wants to make the rounds with him. He tells her what the dance rules are, and explains kisses are on a case by case basis. He demonstrates by kissing her. Trina pumps Dev for information on who he likes. He says he’s too busy for romance.
Cameron says the dance has been pretty okay, thanks to Josslyn. She says she would never have made it this far without him. He’s the best friend she could have.
Alexis tells Neil his visit was not expected, but also not unwelcome. She suggests they try it again. She suddenly feels pain from the rash on her palms.
Sam says Cassandra is the one who messed with Michael’s girlfriend. She’s surprised Cassandra lived long enough for them to meet. Cassandra says, life is unpredictable. She’s surprised Sonny has lived that long as he has after turning down her business proposal. Sam says her husband and Sonny are business associates, and Cassandra says, not Jason Morgan? and is she the infamous Sam? Sam says Cassandra will be sorry if she messes with her, and Cassandra takes out a knife.
Michael tells Valentin that he’s running out of patience. Valentin says Nina is upset, and it’s going to take time to talk her out of prosecuting Sasha. Michael says Valentin doesn’t want to lose Nina and go to prison, and Valentin says Michael doesn’t want him as an enemy. Laura says it’s not shaping up to be Valentin’s night.
Nina asks if Chase and Willow have any idea what Sasha did to her. Willow says going after Sasha isn’t going to make Nina feel good, and Nina thanks her for the life lesson. She’s sure it’s easy to say that from the sidelines. She asks what if someone came to Willow, and said Wiley wasn’t her son, and she was never a mother at all?
At the gallery, Ava hears something, but tells herself that she’s just being jumpy. She turns out the lights, and the masked dude walks in.
Trina needs to talk to Josslyn, but realizes she’s drunk. She says they need to get Josslyn out of there, and on the way out, they see Dustin kissing Lulu. Josslyn says she’s going to hurl. Dev asks where Cameron was, and Cameron says, around, knocking over the candy bowl on the snack table. Dev tries to help Cameron pick up the candy, and realizes Cameron is drunk. Josslyn throws up over the side of the boat, and Trina says they have to get her out of there, but Lulu and Dustin walk out, and Lulu asks if Josslyn has been drinking.
TJ updates Jordan and Curtis on Alexis. Jordan suggests Alexis is going to be TJ’s mother-in-law, but he says Molly has to say yes first. He asks if she’s on board, and Jordan says he’s his own man. She couldn’t be happier or prouder of him.
Molly tells Kendra that she has complete confidence in the medical staff at GH, and Alexis will be fine. Kendra says she can’t be too careful, since Alexis’s illness might be catching. Molly doesn’t want to get what Alexis has.
Alexis tells Finn she’s getting a prickling sensation in her hands. He checks her feet, and she feels the same thing there. He says, whatever she has, it’s not just something going around.
Nina says Michael’s mistress doesn’t know when to let something drop. Michael joins them, and says Sasha has as much right to be there as Nina does, and Nina says, how any of them dare imply she’s treating Sasha unfairly? For a year, Sasha lied to her face, used her, and took advantage of her deepest loss. What if twenty years from now, someone came to Michael, and said they were the child he lost? He’d love to know why Nina is so convinced Sasha came up with this lie all by herself.
Hayden tells Jax the portrait is an expensive piece of trash, and he flashes back to Dev saying, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure, and saying people put expensive stuff in the trash all the time. Hayden tells Jax it’s worse than being back to square one if Valentin is suspicious. He asks what she would do, as an enterprising teenager, if she came across the portrait. She says, burn itprobably, but he says she’d try to sell it. She’d take it to Ava.
Laura wonders what’s next for Valentin, after his wedding being ruined and getting slapped down by Michael.
Cassandra says Sam must be a disappointment to the Cassadines, who are ruthless, but refined and cultured, except for her. Sam asks if that’s what Valentin told her, and Cassandra says, amongst others. She flashes back to being in a limo, and asking what someone wants from her. A hand, wearing the signet ring, rests on her knee.
We see the ring on the hand of the masked dude. Ava comes up behind him with her gun, and asks if he ever gets that feeling; like he’s being watched.
Laura thinks Valentin’s time at the head of the Cassadine table is up. He asks who’s going to take it? Spencer.
Ava says as soon as she saw him, she knew he was the man who was stalking her. No one believed her, but here he is, and she’s going to find out who he is. She tells him, take off the mask. He does, and she says, Nikolas?
Tomorrow, Jax tells Laura that Helena’s portrait may have found its way to Ava’s gallery, Cameron is busted by Dustin, and Carly tells Brad that the ball is in his court – play it wisely.
Million Dollar Listing New York – Season Finale
Ryan was trying to hunt down Luis about their co-listing for Ian, but Luis was spending every minute he could with his daughter. They finally connected, and Ryan set up a socialite dinner party, where he invited everyone from the influencers of influencers to Ramona Singer. Ramona was – no surprise – a total pita; pointing out every negative she could think of, whining about how outdated the décor was, and bugging the chefs cooking the dinner. Luis managed to keep Ramona sidelined, so she didn’t interfere with Ryan showing the apartment. One of the guests talked to a friend, who turned out to want a private showing. He decided the apartment wasn’t for him, since it would require too much in the way of renovation. Ryan just happened to mention the raw space Ian was renovating downstairs. That, he was interested in, and made an offer.
Luis also got an offer on the original apartment, but Ian said no to both. Ryan blamed it on the 12 month extension that Luis had wanted. Much to their dismay, Luis and Ryan realized they enjoyed working together.
Steve did some private showings of the Bed Sty townhouse, while Jess did separate showings. Steve was thrilled that Jess was doing what takes be a good agent in a tough market. The sellers had moved to Manhattan, and were more motivated to sell, but the seller still balked at Steve getting an offer for less than the full asking price, and Jess getting an offer for asking price, but it would require a 60 day contingency. This basically meant that the buyer had 60 days to get financing, but during that time, the apartment would be off the market. Understandable why the seller wouldn’t be keen on that. In the end, there was a compromise. The seller took the full ask offer, but the contingency was shortened to 30 days, and none of the furnishings would be included.
Fredrik was showing the huge Soho apartment non-stop, but got no offers. He told us that people from L.A. tended to want more space, and found an L.A. broker with a mogul client. It wasn’t quite what the mogul was looking for, and Fredrik let slip (cough, cough) that the owner also had a penthouse, but it wasn’t on the market yet. He’d gotten in trouble for showing an unlisted penthouse once before, and took a chance. An offer was made, and while the owner wanted to wait for a better price, she gave Fredrik the listing, admiring his drive.
Tyler was met with two owners about a property in Nomad that had a private pool, and wraparound terrace. Once again, he came up against his usual problem, the owners weren’t keen on someone who hadn’t sold in that price range before ($13 million). Tyler told them that what he could offer was dedication. He’d taken his team from three employees to two hundred, but even better had dropped two hundred pounds and kept it off. The two men conversed in Hebrew (I think), and one of them said when they were immigrants, they’d needed first chances, and gave him the listing. Both Tyler and I were more than thrilled, and after throwing so many parties to show apartments, Tyler had his own party. Tyler said he wasn’t afraid of the other brokers he was up against, and hoped to build an empire like theirs. This year had been about finding out who he was, and figuring out his place in the world. Goal achieved.
Steve threw a housewarming party, with Fredrik, Ryan, and Luis, along with their families in attendance. Steve told us that he finally realized what life was about. The year had been his most rewarding; personally, professionally, and financially. He felt like the luckiest guy in the world.
Ryan joked that Steve was copying him by moving and having a baby. He and Amelia were busy renovating their new Borum Hill townhouse, and he was excited. The year had been up and down for emotionally, and the market had beat him up. But he took a breath, and said he’s got this. He was doing it for his family, which was the most important thing.
Fredrik decided, ultimately, he was thankful for the horrible market. To continue his climb up, he had to be inventive and creative. He decided to rent the house in L.A., and even better, brother Sigge would be following him. He and his family felt at home wherever Fredrik was. Fredrik was excited about the future, and while he would never really leave NYC, decided he could date two cities at the same time.
Luis told us that he’d gotten used to being back, but he and his family would be moving to Puerto Rico for a year or two, and focusing on their daughter. He told us, let time unfold, and it will show you that it will be okay. He’d gone off to find himself, and now he was driven by the realization that he was finally in place of substance.

The Halloween party has started at the MetroCourt. Dressed as Cruella de Vil checks her purse for her gun. Laura startles her. I’m not sure what Laura is, either a queen of some kind or the Virgin Mary. Sasha – some kind of version of Wonder Woman? – and Michael – a combination of Jon Snow and Aquaman – come in, and Sasha wonders if it’s a good idea. She’s the town pariah. Michael says she’s his pariah. She made a mistake. She says it was a big one, but he says she owned up to it and apologized repeatedly. Give him one good reason why she shouldn’t enjoy herself. She sees Valentin and Nina walk in as Cleopatra and Marc Antony.
Captain America TJ joins Jordan and Curtis, who’s dressed as Sherlock Holmes. Jordan – I have no idea who she’s supposed to be, but she looks hot – is glad TJ put the books down. She asks where Molly is, and Molly says she had to stop by the apartment first.
Elizabeth straightens up the living room. She looks at a family photo with Franco in it. Cameron comes down, and she says she was just cleaning up the Halloween tornado his brothers left. Cameron asks how she does that; act like everything is okay. He gets her doing it with Jake and Aiden, but not him. He gets how much it hurts. They hug.
Finn tells Violet about Roxie. He says, she likes to eat orchids, and they both go, eww! He says maybe they shouldn’t knock it until they’ve tried it. She asks if she can meet Roxie, and he says nothing would make him happier.
Jason tells Carly that Avery couldn’t wait to go trick-or-treating. She says, thank God for Brad and Lucas, and he says her cousin Rocco couldn’t wait to show her the ropes. Carly is sure he’ll be helping her eat the candy, and Jason says, that too. She tells him, Donna is asleep, and they have an hour before she’s screaming for food. He asks how she’s doing, and she says, tired, but happy her little girl is thriving. How about him? How’s Sam? He says, she’s not doing that great. She opted for a bench trial. Diane gave her the options, but she chose it because it has a quicker turnaround. Carly says, and no jury, and he says, no Dawn of Day members can be selected. Which I think would recuse them anyway, but okay. Carly says she knows how hard it is, and he says, it will be okay, but Alexis is having a hard time.
Molly, dressed as Ruth Bader Ginsburg, stops by Alexis’s place. She knocks, but there’s no answer. She sees the lights are on, and knocks again. We see Alexis passed out on the couch, and she knocks louder.
Carly says, let her guess. Alexis wanted to defend Sam, but she went with Diane. Alexis doesn’t want to make it more stressful, so she’s hanging back, but privately prepping the case in her living room. Jason says, yes to all of it. He agrees Diane is the better choice, and thinks Alexis sees where Sam is coming from. Carly says, but it’s hard to relinquish control when it’s your own kid. She thinks Jason should go to the party in a superhero costume, but he says she knows how he doesn’t like to dress for Halloween. She begs him to do it for her. Josslyn comes running downstairs, and says she can’t find the watch Oscar gave her. She thinks she lost it.
Trina shows up at Elizabeth’s house, carrying a garment bag. She sees Cameron isn’t dressed up, and says she had a feeling that he’d bag the dance. She figured her and Josslyn could throw something together at Josslyn’s place. Cameron says he’s in, unless Elizabeth would rather he stay home. It’s not a big deal. Elizabeth tells him to go. She has to work anyway, and tells him to go have fun with his friends. Trina tells him, let’s go. She’s glad he’s coming. She wasn’t sure if he was up for it.
Finn tells Violet that people think he’s weird because he had a bearded dragon for a friend. She’s really cool when you get to know her; she’s the best listener. Hayden comes in, and notices a bar of chocolate on the bed. Violet says Finn brought it, and he thanks her for selling him out. He tells Hayden that he just gave Violet one piece. Okay, two. Violet is stuck there on Halloween. Hayden thanks him, and asks Violet if she said thank you. Just because we’re sick doesn’t mean we forget our manners. Finn says she thanked with her killer smile. He says he’ll come back and see her soon, Hayden gives Violet her phone, and says, just one show. If her eyes get heavy, let herself sleep.
Out in the hallway, Hayden asks if Finn has heard from Dr. Mulvari. Is Violet going to be okay? He says he did hear back.
Ava asks if Laura makes a habit of startling people. Laura tells her, she just wanted to say hello. She wasn’t sure Ava was going to come. Ava says it’s for a good cause; she wanted to contribute. Laura says last year was horrific, but Ava would rather not talk about Ryan. Is there an open bar? Laura tells her to knock herself out.
Valentin says, who needs a costume party? and wants to go, but Nina says, like hell. She’s not leaving a party for a worthy cause. Just stay close. Valentin says, always.
Molly knocks more fervently, but still no answer. She opens the door with her key, and sees Alexis. She says, oh my God, and shakes her. She tells Alexis to wake up, but gets no reaction.
Josslyn tells Carly that she asked everyone. She even checked Avery’s room, but it’s nowhere. She lost it. Carly says Josslyn doesn’t know that. it could have slipped behind the dresser, or be in a pocket. Josslyn says, no. She lost it. She took it off at the exhibition match. She was worried it might get broken, so she put it in her backpack, but didn’t zip it up. She was so caught up in the game, she completely forgot. Carly says they’ll drive to Mayfair tomorrow, and check the lost and found. Or it could be in the gym. Josslyn says, the match was on Monday, three days ago. She lost the watch Oscar gave her, and didn’t even miss it.
TJ says it’s an awkward moment, and Curtis says he knows that. He’s in the same family. TJ asks if Jordan still has the engagement ring his dad gave her. She says she still has it; why? Curtis says, TJ is thinking of asking Molly to marry him.
Alexis finally wakes up, and Molly says, thank God. Alexis asks what she’s doing there, and why does Molly look like Ruth Bader Ginsburg? Molly says she’s been trying to get ahold of Alexis all day, but she didn’t answer her phone or Molly’s texts. Her office said she wasn’t in, so Molly got worried. Alexis sits up, obviously still groggy. She says, it hurts, and asks, what time is it? Molly says she’s really sorry, but she has to ask. Has Alexis been drinking? Alexis says, no. No alcohol has touched her lips. Molly asks, what happened? but Alexis doesn’t know. She didn’t feel well. Neil brought food over, and she was obviously not feeling well, since she sent him home. She says she’ll be fine, but needs coffee. Molly says what she needs is to go to the hospital, and that’s where Molly is taking her.
Finn tells Hayden that Violet will make a full recovery. She’ll be fine. He’d still like to keep her for observation, and Hayden says, whatever he thinks is best. She tells him, she’s so grateful, but he says he didn’t do anything. She says he’s been amzing with Violet. She didn’t know… He says, how he’d be with his own daughter? He imagined it, but seeing her in person is a different story. He takes Hayden aside, and says he’s still having a hard time understanding why she kept Violet from him for so long. He asks if she would do it the same again, but she’s not so sure. If she could go back and tell him… She doesn’t know. Finn says, the only thing that matters is, Violet will recover. They’ll talk when she’s out of the hospital. Hayden asks what that’s going to look like, now that he knows about Violet. He says he’ll be in it for life .
Carly explains to Jason that when Oscar was still well enough to go anywhere, he took Josslyn to the footbridge, and gave her the watch. He’d heard a legend that when the time was at 11:11, he could reach out after death and she would feel it. Jason says he can go to Mayfair and take a look around, but Carly says, they’re closed now, and the gym is locked. It’s not worth it. Even if the watch was there, what really has Josslyn upset is that it was three days before she noticed it was gone. Jason says, she doesn’t know how to act in the situation, which is a good thing. Carly says, Josslyn is getting on with life. It’s what Carly wanted, but not this way. She wanted Josslyn to take off the watch when she was ready. In losing it, she feels guilty and like she’s betraying Oscar.
Laura tells Jax, dressed as Mr. Incredible, happy Halloween. He says, it’s better than last year, and she says, anything would be better than last year. Doc is sitting this one out, and she can’t blame him. She knows they’re off the clock, but she wants to fill him in on the brainstorm she and Curtis had. When Helena said she kept the codicil close, maybe it wasn’t physically close. Maybe she meant close to her likeness. Jax asks if she means it might be part of the portrait itself.
Hayden tells Finn she knows she messed up. That’s not the right word. He says, that’s two words, and she says, it’s unconscionable. She was hoping… Elizabeth sees her, and says she was trying to reach Hayden last night. Where has she been? Hayden says, something crazy came up, and Finn says they have a lot to talk about. He and Hayden will finish their conversation later. Elizabeth wonders what that’s about.
Nina wants more champagne, and takes Valentin to the bar. Sasha and Michael are there, and Nina says she thought Michael would be interested that she received a call from the DA. He’s reviewing her testimony. The case against Cassandra has to be airtight, since their star witness is now unreliable. Sasha says she’s so sorry, but Nina says, there’s no apology necessary. She just wants Sasha to know, if that bitch goes free, Nina is holding her personally responsible. She drags Valentin away.
Cameron and Trina get to Sonny’s, and Cameron asks Josslyn, her too? Did she think he’d bail. Josslyn admits it crossed her mind, but she’s glad he’s there. She sees he has no costume, and Trina says he’s a typical guy, and expects them to dress him up. Trina goes upstairs to check on Dev’s costume. Cameron says he’s fine, but Josslyn says she knows he’s hurting, and the last thing he feels like doing is getting dressed up. Cameron says, actually, he’s fired up. For real. If he didn’t go, he’d be sitting at home by himself, with his life in a dumpster fire. He thinks he can find a way to make it fun. He goes into the living room, where Carly is on the couch. She says she’s been thinking about him and his family. How’s he doing? He says, it helps having great friends, but obviously, it’s hard. Josslyn and Trina come down, and Josslyn asks if he’s ready, and Cameron says, just one second. He goes out on the terrace, where he sees Jason. He asks if Jason has a second, and Jason asks, what’s up? Cameron says he owes Jason an apology.
Cameron says he jumped down Jason’s throat, and he shouldn’t have. He’s sorry. Jason says she doesn’t need to apologize. Cameron says he wanted this for his mom, and he thought his testimony would do that; make the judge see the real Franco wants to come back. Jason say the judge understood, and Cameron says, not enough. What he said should have been more clear, or better. Jason says she knows the truth, but it doesn’t matter what anyone said. What mattered is what Doc said. it’s great that she heard them, but in the end, it didn’t tip the scales. It couldn’t. He’s sorry. Cameron asks what he does now. How does he cut himself off from this crappy feeling? Just say, this is it what the judge decided? Jason says he can tell himself that when all was said and done, the judge gave the choice to Franco. Cameron says, he’s not Franco, and Jason says, whoever that man is, can make the choice. They don’t have to like it – they can hate it – but they can’t change it. Cameron has two choices. He can walk around angry all the time, or learn to live with it, and help the people he loves pick up the pieces. Jason goes back inside.
Elizabeth can’t believe Hayden had a daughter. They look through the window at Violet. Hayden says, Elizabeth’s niece. Elizabeth asks why Hayden didn’t tell her, but Hayden says she doesn’t know. She lied so much, it felt like she couldn’t tell the truth. She’s sorry. Elizabeth says, she’s beautiful, and helluva surprise. Hayden says, that’s what the consensus seems to be. She has a lot of regrets about the choices she’s made, but the truth is out now. Violet is here, and she’s the most fun Hayden has ever had.
Molly brings Alexis to the hospital. Alexis says she’s sure it’s just the flu. Molly says, maybe, but she still wants Alexis checked out. Finn comes out, and asks if everything is okay. Molly says, no, and Alexis says, yeah. He says, cleared that up. Alexis thought Finn went out of his way not to be there on Halloween, but he says he has a special case. He asks, what’s going on? and Alexis says she feels out of it. Molly says she’s been sick for 24-hours, and passed out. She had to shake Alexis awake. She’s worried. Alexis says she’s been prepping Sam’s case, and Finn asks if Alexis is her lawyer. Molly says, no, and Alexis says she’s been working out a lot, and feels run down. Finn says they’ll find out for sure, and they go to an examining room.
Curtis asks if he’s right. Is TJ going to pop the question. TJ tells him, relax. He’s thinking about it. Curtis says it must be serious if he’s asking about a ring, and laying the groundwork. TJ says, Molly will want something with sentimental value, and a family heirloom is perfect. Curtis asks, when? and TJ says he’s just thinking about it. He just knows that Molly is the person he wants to be with forever. Curtis tells him, congratulations. He’s making grown man moves. Why is he getting the vibe Jordan isn’t into it? Jordan says, because she’s not.
Laura tells Jax that they could be wrong, but Helena left Nikolas the painting knowing Valentin was out there. She thinks Helena armed Nikolas with something that would neutralize Valentin. Jax says, so she thinks it’s part of the painting itself, and she says, in the frame, or underneath. The real problem is that Valentin disposed of it, and they have no idea where it is. Valentin comes by, and asks if she’s still talking about that. Why is she obsessed with the portrait of Helena?
Valentin say, after everything Helena has done to Laura and her family, he thought she’d be thrilled he got rid of the painting. Laura says, Helena left Nikolas the portrait, and it belongs to Spencer – the rightful heir. Nina says Spencer had told her about everything he claimed Valentin stole, but never once said anything about the portrait. If he cared, he would have said something. Laura says Spencer had a fondness for his late grandmother, but that wouldn’t matter to Valentin, would it? She walks away.
At Sonny’s, Cameron pours liquor into a soda bottle when no one is looking.
Elizabeth tells Hayden, you love your kids so much, you want to make it right, but you know you can’t. Hayden says Elizabeth is the best mom. Elizabeth assumes Finn knows. What does it mean for the two of them? Hayden says, it’s not about them; it’s about Finn and Violet. It’s not fair that she dumped a new reality in his lap, and Elizabeth asks if Finn has had any contact with Violet. Hayden says, Violet only knows him as a doctor, but they’ve talked a little, and Finn snuck her in some chocolate. It’s insane. From the minute she found out she was pregnant, she dreamed about Finn and their child. Now she’s finally seen it. Elizabeth says, and? Hayden says, he was perfect.
Alexis tells Finn that she thought she was tired from her workout, but it moved to her stomach. Finn says, nausea, but she says, pain. Molly says she got sick on the way over. He says he’ll get her set up with an IV. She wonders if it’s the flu, and he asks if she’s gotten a shot. She says it’s October, and he tells her it’s the time of year they suggest getting vaccinated. Molly says she’s running late, and starts to leave. Finn tells her to set up a flu shot appointment before she goes, and she says she already got one. Okay, okay. We get it. They want us to get our flu shots. Alexis says, of course (🍷). She wants to be Molly when she grows up. Finn notices a rash on her palms, and asks how long she’s had it, but she doesn’t know.
TJ says he thought Jordan liked Molly. She says she does. Molly is everything she’d want for him in a partner, and she’s practically family. He asks, what’s the problem? and she says they’ve been together since high school. He’s never dated anyone else. He says he didn’t want to, and they’ve proven it will last. She says they come from the same town, and both go to a local college. Has he considered that he’s limiting his options? He asks if Jordan wants him to date other people, and she says she thinks they should both explore more of life before making a lifetime commitment. Molly calls, and TJ steps away. Curtis looks at Jordan, who says, oh look. The comptroller. She needs to say hello. I guess that was like a how about them Mets? subject changer.
Sasha tells Michael, if Cassandra walks, it’s her fault. No one takes what she says seriously anymore. Michael says, he does, and she can’t believe he still trusts her after what happened. He says he trusts her more. She says she doesn’t deserve it. He asks if she wants to go, and she says she’d like another club soda. Michael heads for the bar, and literally runs into Ava. She drops her purse, and he sees the gun in her bag.
Curtis asks Jordan if the comptroller is keeping Port Charles afloat, and she says, so far, so good. She asks where TJ went, and Curtis says Alexis is at the hospital. Molly thinks she has the flu, but she wanted to be sure. So does she want to talk about it? The bomb TJ just dropped, and how she treated it like she’s in denial. She says when they transitioned form high school sweethearts to college roommates, it was easy. She never considered where it was heading. Curtis says it never occurred to her that TJ might want to marry Molly?
Alexis says she’s being embarrassed further by a med student observing? Molly says he’s there as a supportive boyfriend. Alexis asks if she really asked TJ to leave the party, and Molly says he decided to. TJ says, family shows up for each other. Alexis says, isn’t that the sweetest? and Finn says, pretty sweet, yes. Alexis asks how much longer until she’s not feeling crappy? and Finn says, soon. By the time she goes home tomorrow. He wants her to stay overnight; that’s his professional opinion. She asks, why? What does he think is wrong?
Hayden apologizes, telling Elizabeth she forgot to ask about the trial. What happened? Elizabeth says, Franco won, and Hayden is so sorry. Elizabeth says, it’s really rough on the boys. Hayden ask if they know, and Elizbeth says, Cameron does; he was there. Hayden ask how he is, and Elizabeth says, pretending he’s fine, but she knows he’s beating himself up. She hates all of it, and hates that it’s out of her control. Only one thing makes sense in all of this. Why Hayden came back, and why she’s so good with the boys. She’s part of the club now. Elizabeth hugs her, and Hayden says she guesses she is.
Jason brings Carly some tea. She says she’s worried about Josslyn is covering. She had the alternative to stay home. Some people would gut it out to prove they can be strong. Jason says, she is strong, and she says she hates seeing Josslyn hurt. She wants to jump in, but she can’t. Jason knows, and says she has to let Josslyn find her way. She says she’ll remind of that years down the road with his kids. He says he’ll need help, and she says like he’s there to help her. They hug.
Josslyn says for someone who claims not to care about Halloween, Dev is obsessing about his costume. Trina thinks they did a good job; she’s proud of them. She knows Josslyn and Cameron are going through a hard time, and Josslyn says they’ll just go to the stupid dance, and try to have fun. Cameron doesn’t think they have to try. He looks at the bottle in his coat pocket.
Michael says, what the hell? and Ava says she has a permit. He says that doesn’t mean she should bring a gun to his mom’s hotel. She can’t believe he’s saying that with a straight face. Sonny and Jason have never been there without carrying a gun. He says they have special privileges, and she says after what she’s been through, she’s learned you can never be too careful.
Laura tells Jax, that was close. They need to stay off the clock in public. Jax says, agreed. If Valentin still thinks the painting is worthless, he won’t look to reclaim it.
At the bar, Nina asks what Valentin thought about Jax’s conversation with Laura. He says it’s probably nothing, but he’s beginning to think the portrait is more valuable than he realized. Ava overhears.
Tomorrow, Finn asks Hayden what part he plays in Violet’s life, Doc has a confession to make, and Sam gets her cellmate back.
🎃 I am still behind with Halloween, and suddenly, it’s tomorrow. I’m also in desperate need for some sleep tonight, so this is a quicker RHOD than usual. The worst thing? It all might get rained out. But you know as well as I do, if I don’t make up a billion candy bags, that’s when I’ll get six busloads of kids at once. One year, I thought I started rifling through my cupboards, but I didn’t think instant oatmeal would be the treat anyone was looking for. Luckily, I ended up with three goody bags left.
The Real Housewives of Dallas
Kary, Brandi D’Andra meet for lunch. D’Andra acts like she’s shocked about Kameron’s lack of manners, and they talk about how awful it is to bring someone uninvited to a bar. Kary once again compares it to a wedding. I guess she thinks her girls nights are that special.
LeeAnne goes for her final fitting with designer Nardos. Tiffany, Stephanie, and Kameron are along for the ride, along with some friends we don’t pay attention to. Kameron says when the quartet trio played at the shower, it became real. Stephanie is annoyed that Kameron is holding on to a petty thing. In her interview, she says she doesn’t need a third six-foot tall child.
Brandi says she’s not going to the wedding. A typed invitation ten days before the wedding is tacky. Says the woman who wore a hat decorated with plastic turds to a society party. She says she’s not dropping already made plans, and if she doesn’t have any, she’ll make some. I added that last part. D’Andra says her invitation must have gotten lost in the mail.
LeeAnne models her dress. I’m loving the lace sleeves and back, but not so much the skirt part, which has a giant extra ruffle that makes it look weirdly unfinished. Nardos says it brings the child inside LeeAnne to life. LeeAnne wants to be worthy. She didn’t get that as a child, and struggles as an adult. Kameron loves being a part of her fairy tale, and Stephanie hopes the feeling makes LeeAnne a softer person.
Kary flashes back to LeeAnne being a downer. D’Andra doesn’t understand why Kary is going. Kary says she and LeeAnne are figuring out their friendship. In Kary’s interview, she says it’s a nice way to extend an olive branch, and she doesn’t want to give LeeAnne a reason to be negative. She tells D’Andra and Brandi that her next girls night is going to be in an undisclosed location.
Kary tells us that daughter Olivia’s prom is in two days. Olivia is working on her dress. Olivia is interning with designer Mackenzie Brittingham. In her interview, Kary says growing up, Olivia always wore interesting things. She thought she’d miss Olivia when she went to college, but Olivia has been such a pill, she’s looking forward to it. Olivia wants to go to fashion design camp in London, but can’t afford it. Eduardo is loaded, but shot it down. In Kary’s interview, she says Eduardo has been a good step-father to her kids, but as they get older, their financial needs are bigger, and she doesn’t get support from her ex anymore. She hates that Eduardo has the financial power. Geez, how stingy is Eduardo? It’s not like Olivia is asking for a party on a yacht. Kary tells Olivia about her plans for getting her own money. Olivia wishes Kary still had her prom dress and she could mess with it. She sounds like Molly Ringwald in Pretty in Pink.
Brandi is pissed that Brooklyn is riding her scooter in the street. Brooklyn insists the sidewalks are more dangerous. Probably, but just for the people walking on them when she comes along. In Brandi’s interview, she says she’s been making the effort to give Brooklyn more time, but when she’s not getting attention, it backfires, and feels like Brooklyn is purposely pissing her off. Brooklyn argues over wearing a helmet. This kid is beyond obnoxious, but that’s not surprising. Brandi is afraid Brooklyn is going to resent it if she disciplines her, and push her away. Um… that’s called part of parenting. She says sometimes it feels like she’s failed.
Jeremy and D’Andra pick out clothes for a family dinner. In her interview, D’Andra says her family is small, and they don’t see each other often, so it’s important when they do. Jeremy asks how it went with Mama Dee, and D’Andra says her mom says mean things. D’Andra has taken a pay cut, moved the office to the house, and Jeremy’s been an employee. In her interview, she says now Jeremy understands how the business works. Her mother has made no effort to help, and just makes her feel bad. She tells Jeremy that she wants to show Mama Dee a united front. In D’Andra’s interview, she says her mother left the company in bad shape, and needs to take responsibility for the fact that she caused this. She tells Jeremy that they’ll both ask questions.
LeeAnne and Rich go out for sushi. LeeAnne tells Rich that everyone keeps telling her it’s x amount of days until the wedding. She told them, no math. He says, it’s not regular math; it’s a countdown. She says the wedding is in 72 hours, and he says, don’t threaten him. She says her mom is staying in a hotel. In her interview, LeeAnne says they haven’t spoken in two years. When they went to therapy, her mother said what she needed to look good, and lied. If they can’t find a place of truth in their conversations, LeeAnne doesn’t need to have them. She had a tough time deciding if she should include her mother. Rich says she only gets one. LeeAnne suggests letting her participate in lighting the unity candle. In LeeAnne’s interview, she tells us, in the South, you honor your mother, but in reality she wasn’t. LeeAnne’s mother didn’t raise her. Her grandmother did. She tells Rich that her mother tends to make things about her, and cause drama. She wants a mostly drama free wedding, and really wants to see her grandmother. Rich says, she’ll be there,so happy up. He says he hates when women cry, and will do a lot to prevent it. She says that’s why she’s with him. They toast to their future as husband and wife.
Jeremy and D’Andra meet Mama Dee, her brother James, and some of Dee’s friends for dinner. That’s the family? Dee toasts to their wonderful family and friends. In D’Andra’s interview, she says Dee and James have always had a tumultuous relationship. James was born when Dee was fifteen, and she sometimes treats him like a son. They argue a lot. Dee applauds Jeremy working with D’Andra, and Jeremy tells her about the new website, saying it’s going to spell out what the company means to D’Andra. Dee says, a mission statement, and D’Andra says she couldn’t find one on the old site. Dee doesn’t think she ever had one, but they were on TV. We see an old clip of D’Andra and Dee doing an infomercial. Jeremy says that’s where they were nailing it, but the market’s not there anymore. Dee says she built it for herself, and now D’Andra has the opportunity to go her own way, and start at ground level. D’Andra says she’s never been in that position. In Dee’s interview, she says she’d never put money into the company because she has no faith that it will come back and boom. Jeremy says, nothing has been invested in it for a long time. D’Andra says everything should have been in place. If she’d known, she would have been happy to cut her salary, but Dee wouldn’t let her see anything. Dee says D’Andra doesn’t understand the financial side. Only the owners and CPA see the numbers. Who made up that rule? I was in accounting for a long time, and never heard that before. D’Andra says she came in not knowing anything. James says her father was the expert. Oh ho. I think I see what happened. The father didn’t let Mama Dee see the books, and when he died, everything went south. Jeremy asks if Mama Dee has any regrets, but she says, no. She’s glad D’Andra has the company. D’Andra says if the switch had been made three years ago, she wouldn’t be in this position. Mama Dee says she has no regrets. In her interview, Dee says she never felt that she did anything wrong, and has no guilt. It’s not her responsibility. Dee rambles for a while, and says they can’t keep going back to this. She says if D’Andra thinks she did it deliberately, she needs to see a doctor. I guess I do too. D’Andra says nothing upsets Dee and she has no regrets. Why did Dee put her in this position? Dee says she thought D’Andra would be there 9 to 5, but she’d show up at 4:30 when everyone was leaving at 5. She thought D’Andra would be more attentive to the company. It doesn’t sound like Dee encouraged that much. She says she refuses to talk about it anymore.
Brandi and Stephanie get ready for their podcast, A Weekly Dose of B.S. In case we didn’t get it, Stephanie explains in her interview, it stands for their names, not bullsh*t. She says it’s the most fun she’s had in her life. In Brandi’s interview, she says it’s really an hour of them catching up. Brandi decides to call Kary, pretending to be the gardener from next door, and telling her a spilly spider has gotten loose, and went into her house. They want to come and get it out. It’s dangerous, and can eat her pets. A friend of Kary’s gets on the phone, and asks what address they’re calling about. When Brandi hesitates, the friend says, eff off. Brandi and Stephanie die laughing, and Stephanie tells Kary it’s a prank call. She’s on their podcast. Afterward, Brandi tells Stephanie that Bruin’s biological mother is pregnant again, and already planning to give it to the state. She and Brian would be the first people asked to adopt the baby. Stephanie says it’s insane. She knows a couple with six children because the biological mother wouldn’t stop having them. Brandi doesn’t know if she can handle another baby. In Stephanie’s interview, she says Brandi would need full-time help if she took on another baby. She worries that Brandi needs help as it is.
LeeAnne and Rich arrive at the church. In LeeAnne’s interview, she says she knows it’s tradition for the groom not to see the bride before the wedding, but he’s been married a few times. it’s her first, and her MF’ing rules. She says no more normal life, and he asks when it was normal. LeeAnne tells Steve the final count is 350, but might be more.
Stephanie and Cary note that there’s a window of five hours in between the wedding and the reception. Stephanie thinks it’s brilliant that LeeAnne has a whole day celebrating her, and they have five hours to figure out what to do with their kids.
Kary and Kameron get their makeup done together. Kameron calls LeeAnne, and asks if she’s excited. LeeAnne says she was at the Round Up late. Court brings the ladies some food. In Kary’s interview, she says Eduardo would be expecting her to make him a sandwich while she got her makeup done. He sounds more and more like a real gem. Kameron shows Kary her photo book of mommy porn. It’s pictures of Court doing various chores around the house, including taken a dish out of the dishwasher that has his face on it. It’s very cute, and I have to say, has more imagination than I would have given him credit for. Kameron says, the sexiest thing is a man with a vacuum cleaner. In Kary’s interview, she thinks Kameron must have a golden vagina because of the things Court does for her. Kameron says, helping a mom out is a turn-on.
Cousin Katy tells LeeAnne that her mom is late. Tiffany goes through some positive affirmations with LeeAnne. In LeeAnne’s interview, she says her mom being late triggers he little girl who feels abandoned. Once the church door is shut, nobody is walking in, and ruining or distracting from her moment.
Next time, there’s no food at the wedding, Brian tells Brandi that two babies is a handful, and Eduardo says Kary only wants to talk about what she wants to talk about.

The Walking Dead
Judith and Michonne are having dinner. Judith giggles, and puts a napkin on her head. Daryl brings a tray upstairs, and leaves it outside a bedroom door. I’m guessing for Carol
Siddiq sees Lydia, who’s on wall patrol, and she smiles at him. Carol puts fresh bandages her arm. Magna and Yumiko make love. Magna watches Yumiko sleep, and gets up.
Ezekiel sleeps and wakes suddenly. He hears whispering outside and looks out the window. He jets outside, and hears gunfire. By now, lots of people are up, wondering what’s going on, and there’s yelling in the distance.
Aaron is concerned the gate isn’t going to hold, and Earl agrees. A tree has fallen, and compromised the wall. Connie signs to Kelly, the tree? wondering if the Whisperers are to blame, but Kelly signs she doesn’t know. Luke asks if Connie thinks it’s them, and Earl says, of course it was. They’re already at war; they just didn’t know it. Jerry carries his wife in, and says there were nine injured. The bridge collapsed, and they were under it. Ezekiel tells Jerry that he’s fine, and not to worry. The others need help. Magna suggests they empty some trailers to deal with the injured, and Yumiko recommends using mattresses for stretchers.
In the daylight, and Aaron is training the young people. One of them fumbles, and he says they’re dead. They were looking at the ground. They have to get back on the training track. Head to hands always. If you lose focus, you get killed. Alden says the Whisperers took their friends, their land, and must be stopped again. Margo asks Lydia – who’s been minding her own business – if she thinks mommy will take her in, and Lydia tells her, get the hell out of here. Aaron tells them run it again.
On their way to help at Hilltop, Michonne rides her horse next to a carriage carrying Judith and several others. Judith notices Michonne looks worried. Michonne tells Judith not to worry. It’s her job, and she’s good at it. Judith suggests she can be a fresh set of eyes or friendly ears. Michonne tells her, Alpha said she’d release the horde if they crossed the border, but Carol took a shot at her, and she took more land. Judith says, maybe the rules are changing, but Michonne says, you can’t negotiate with a bully, or there’s no end to how much they’ll try to take. Some bullies, you can live with, but some you’ve got to fight. Judith wonders if they can live with the skins, but Michonne says they can’t take them at their word, and have to measure them by their actions. And their actions are unexpected… Judith says the fastest way to get RJ to sleep is to let him run around until he’s tired. Maybe the Whisperers want them to keep fighting so they get tired, and they have the advantage. Michonne says, not bad, and Judith says, eventually RJ had to be good for something. She asks if she’s right. Michonne looks at her, and says she’s thinking. She frowns, and stops the horses. She looks through the binoculars, and sees Ezekiel, riding down another path. Judith wonders why he’s out there, but Michonne doesn’t know. She tells the others, keep riding to Hilltop. She’ll be right behind. She goes to toward where she saw Ezekiel.
Michonne sees Ezekiel’s horse, minus Ezekiel, trotting in the opposite direction. She looks around, and finds Ezekiel on the edge of a cliff (perhaps where the bridge was?). She calls his name, and he says she should go. She asks him to step away from the edge. Can he? He shakes his head, and she says she’s not going anywhere. He breathes heavily, and hugs her. She tells him, it’s okay, and he kisses her. She kisses back for a moment, then backs away a little. He apologizes, but I’m thinking she liked it.
Negan finds Lydia sitting in between clotheslines that have sheets on them so she can’t be seen. He asks if she’s looking for a job, but she says she’s there to clear her head. He tells her, keep it up, and there are going to be socks with her name on them. She tells him that they started with her again today. He says she’s obviously having a day. What happened? She says she was rolling with it. She did it his way. She didn’t run away and hide. He’d said to kill them with kindness, and she did. He says they just want a reaction; don’t give it to them. Screw ‘em. Daryl sees her, and says, let’s go. She says she’s good, but he says, now. Negan tells him, she’s just trying to fit in, but Daryl says it will never happen if she hangs out with him.
Daryl catches up to Lydia, who says she and Negan were just talking. He says Negan ain’t her friend, but she says, Negan gets her. He tells her, stay away. As they get to Daryl’s place, they find Silence the Whisperers is written on the front door in big yellow letters.
Michonne and Ezekiel sit down, and Ezekiel says, maybe in another universe. He lost his kingdom. He had reign, and what did he do with it? He failed. Ben, Shiva, Henry, now Hilltop. He doesn’t know how to talk to Carol anymore. He didn’t know what he was going to do when he came out there. Michonne says she’s been there before. Not there, but – she indicates his heart – there. A long time ago. She was alone and in a dark place. She envied the walkers. Every time she got one, she was going to let it bite her. She’d put her sword down, and kill it with her bare hands. Eventually, she gave up. Ezekiel asks what it felt like, and she says, it feels like a mask – until it doesn’t. Ezekiel says he can only wear one for so long. Michonne says, then you have to start all over, just like that. Somehow it’s harder the second time, especially if you get used to having someone there; that partner in crime, that sounding board. She tears up, and says, now, it’s all on you; just you.
They walk, and Michonne says, for what it’s worth, Ezekiel’s not a half-bad kisser. He says he’s not at the top of his game, and she says she hasn’t kissed anyone under four feet tall in the last six years. She tells him, next time… He says, when he starts to act like an idiot? She asks him to just promise he won’t ride out by himself. He thanks her.
Zombies continue to gravitate to Hilltop. Magna says, there’s more of them, and Luke says, that’s not good. Thanks, Captain Obvious. Earl says he’ll get some timbers to reinforce the gate. Jerry asks how much time they have, and Earl hopes it’s enough. Everyone who’s been zombie fighting runs back in.
At mealtime, Lydia sits with the group who’s been harassing her, and slaps a dead squirrel on the table, cutting it open with a knife. Blood spritzes onto Gage’s face. Alfred says, she’s crazy. What’s wrong with her? Ozzie and Helen died to save her, and she’s making fools of them. Margo says, not here, and Lydia puts her finger to lips and says, shhh… They leave, and Daryl says she wants to live there, right? Lydia says, they deserved it, and Daryl says, he knows, but she can’t do sh*t like that. She says, but they can write what they want on their door? He says he’ll talk to them, and set them straight, but she says she doesn’t want him to fight her fight. They want her to give up, but she’s not going to; she can’t. He says he gets it. She takes her pokey stick, and goes outside. He says, great, no doubt anticipating more problems.
Outside, Lydia sees Margo, and is suddenly surrounded by her, Gage, and Alfred. (Yes. I cheated, and looked up these names. I have no clue who the blip these kids are, although I vaguely remember Gage.) Lydia asks why they hate her, and Margo says they’re friends were killed. Lydia says she wasn’t there, but Gage says, Ozzie was a fair man. In his honor, they’ll give her one last chance. Margo tells her, run now, and they’ll play dumb when anyone asks. Lydia says this is her home; they’re her people. Margo cracks Lydia in the head. Lydia falls, and Alfred grabs her. Lydia says she loved Henry. They know she did. They start beating on her, although Gage doesn’t really seem on board with it. Negan comes out, and starts shoving them away. Gage says they were just trying to scare her. Siddiq comes out, asking, what the hell is going on? During the melee, when Negan pulled Margot off of Lydia, she got slammed up against the wall. Negan realizes she’s dead, and says, sh*t.
Gage yells, Negan killed her, but Lydia says he didn’t do anything. Daryl says, get him out of here. People start to gather, and Siddiq remembers being with the Whisperers. He goes inside, and plunges his face into a bowl of ice water. Dante bandages Lydia. Daryl comes in, and tells Lydia that he’s sorry this happened. She doesn’t say anything, then mumbles something I can’t understand. He asks her to tell him what happened, and she says, Negan saved her life. She leans on Daryl’s shoulder, and he puts his arm around her.
Daryl goes to see Negan, who’s back in his cell. Negan asks how the kid is doing, and Daryl says, she’s banged up, but she’ll be all right. The young people are talking about putting Negan down, now that Rick isn’t around to save him. Negan says if Daryl came there looking for a confession, keep walking. For the record, it was accident, and for the record, screw her. Goddam a-hole, beating on a kid. The world is better off. But Daryl already knows that, doesn’t he? He says Daryl came there to look him in the eye, but doesn’t know what to do with him. All the times he’s fantasized about Negan’s death, and tried to kill him, now he’s not so sure. Daryl tells Negan, listen to him. They’ve never been in a room, toe to toe, with no one to save him. What does he want to do? Negan says, the people out there are out for blood and guts. Daryl says Negan is no hero, and Negan agrees. He’s a sucker. He started to believe Daryl’s way of life, and moral code. He was given a taste of freedom, and it was yanked away when he did the right thing. He has to admit, it’s pretty messed up. They both know and appreciate messed up sh*t, but who’s the sucker now?
Daryl asks how Carol is feeling, and she says, sore. She heard what happened. Daryl says, a mess, and Carol says, everyone is talking about Negan again like time never moved. He doesn’t think…? Daryl says, he believes Lydia, and Carol says, it’s just a distraction. Alexandria was attacked. He says they don’t know that yet, and Carol says, the real enemy is out there. He says, enough bad is happening inside. If they don’t fix that, it won’t matter. There won’t be anything left. She says they should have gone to New Mexico. He says, yeah, and walks off.
Magna and the others kill zombies outside the Hilltop gate under a huge moon. Kelly uses a slingshot, and Yumiko, a bow and arrow. Luke thinks they should go back in; there’s more coming. Yumiko agrees they should get out, and calls to Magna. Magna says they have to protect the wall. Kelly says they need kelp. Yumiko grabs Kelly, and Magna tells them, go. Connie grabs Magna, and pulls her with them. They go back inside. Even I’m getting exhausted just watching. The wall starts to shake, and zombies bring down the door.
The zombies begin to stream in. I say, sh*t! Ezekiel and Michonne run out, along with Judith. Judith and Michonne fight side by side, Judith with her own, smaller machete. Judith is quite the little fighter, and Michonne stops for a millisecond to admire that. They continue to do some mother/daughter bonding by slaying zombies together.
Daryl radios Michonne, who asks, what’s going on? He tells her what happened to Lydia, saying, Lydia was lured there, and Negan was with her. She was attacked, and she’s in the infirmary. One of their friends is in the grave, but Negan is on the right side. He’s not sure if it makes a difference. Michonne says maybe she should come home. They have to protect Lydia. Daryl says, they’re trying to, but Michonne says, they have to. for all of them. They went to the border, and met Alpha. It was working, until Carol took a shot at her. Alpha could have killed them. Why does he think she didn’t? Daryl says, they’ve got Lydia. Michonne says Alpha wanted her protected, but she’ll definitely hurt them if Lydia gets hurt or runs off. She has to stay In Alexandria to keep the peace between them. Daryl says he’ll make sure. He admits to being a little afraid of the situation there; there’s going to be a council meeting. Michonne wants him to be her proxy, and vote for her. He says, all right, and she says she knows he’ll do the right thing.
After signing off with Daryl, Michonne gets another call on the radio.
At the council meeting, Gabriel suggests maybe Negan has been redeemed; maybe he has changed. But then again, a man like that, who’s done the things he’s done… Aaron says, and killed who he killed. Something inside him is broken. But they have to face the fact that killing Negan over this could undermine the civilized society they’ve built. Siddiq says, the Whisperers are the ones attacking them. Look what’s going on at Hilltop. Gabriel says the council wasn’t made for this; deciding a man’s fate in the dead of night; a group of people carrying pitchforks. Daryl says they’re supposed to make the people’s decisions for them. Michonne told him to vote for her, and he votes no on killing Negan. Aaron says, the vote is tied, and asks what Gabriel says. Gabriel wants to take the night to clear his head, and consider his vote. He suggests the rest of the council do the same.
Michonne wants to head out to Oceanside. Another mask was found. It might be nothing, but just in case it is them. Although they usually move as a pack. Eugene says, one hundred or more, and uses a bunch of big words. Luke simplifies, saying, like a cockroach family. He asks if she thinks they’re planning another attack. Michonne says the first time, it could be a coincidence, and the second, bad luck, but the third? They need to check. Luke says he’s feeling the ocean calling to him like a loon. Yumiko says he means Jules is calling to him, and he pretends not to know what she’s talking about. He’s never heard of her… Oh yeah, the tall one. Michonne says Eugene needs to lead a wagon back to Alexandria, but Eugene says he’s staying put, and uses a lot of words to say that Hilltop wall might need fortification. Michonne says Judith is coming with her. Who else could be her pair of friendly ears?
Magna is annoyed at Yumiko for making the decision for them to come back in when they were fighting the zombies. She says it was her decision, but Yumiko says it was a split second decision. When the sh*t hit the fan, someone had to. She wonders where this is coming from, and Magna says Yumiko isn’t her lawyer anymore.
Gabriel ponders as he walks to Negan’s cell. He goes inside to see Negan.
Gabriel bangs on Daryl’s door. Daryl opens it, and Gabriel says, he’s gone.
Gabriel tells Daryl and Aaron that a set of keys is missing. Aaron wants to know who was on watch. Lydia has come out of the house, and says she did, as she walks past them. Daryl says she didn’t. He kept watch, and she never left. Lydia walks into Negan’s empty cell, and says, it doesn’t matter. This is where they want her. Daryl says, it doesn’t matter what they want, and she says for a long time, she blamed herself for what happened. She kept thinking what if she’d just stayed in the cell where they found her, and never let them take her alive? What if she never went off with Henry, or said anything to her mother? Daryl says she’s not to blame, but she says, her mother was right. The people there put on polite faces, but they’re just masks. When things get bad, or they get scared, they pick a target, and aim to shoot. Her, Negan, anything but him. Daryl says, Negan is different. She didn’t know him. She says he stood up for her when he didn’t have to. She tried to hate him because she wanted to be like Daryl. Daryl says she doesn’t belong in a cage. She says, it’s better there. She feels safe. He closes the door, and it locks.
Ezekiel tells Jerry, he means it; he’s good. Jerry loads up a truck, and everyone gets ready to move out. Luke says goodbye to Connie and Kelly, and hugs Magna. He gets in the truck bed, and blows Yumiko a kiss. Michonne gets the horses going, and they pull the truck. I wonder how many people are making jokes about real horsepower.
Carol looks out from a rooftop. Below, Daryl takes the graffiti off the door. The camera pans around Alexandria, and we see Silence the Whisperers written in several places, including above the main gate. We hear the Whisperers get louder.
Next time, Negan on the road, Kelly is in trouble, and Alpha tells Beta, strategy takes time, but the Whisperers will crush them.
🎃 Both audience members and Chris Hardwick celebrated Halloween tonight by donning Walking Dead cosplay outfits. Chris came as Dale, and I would not have recognized him in a million years. Guest MattJones sported a Eugene pigtail, and suggested Negan had found his calling as a child psychologist. He might be right about that. He also thought Banksy might be responsible for the graffiti showing up around Alexandria. Mike Cudlitz (ex-Abe, who also directed tonight’s episode) and Cassady McClincy (Lydia) were also guests. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a guest have as good a time as Cassady did. She was just happy to be there, to be on TWD, and not be dead.

Due to circumstances beyond my control, Halloween festivities postponed until tomorrow. Therefore here’s the whole enchilada.
General Hospital
At Crimson, Valentin asks if Nina wants to go shopping. She asks if it’s fun shopping or boring shopping, and he says fun shopping. They talked swapping out the artwork at Windymere, but the wedding preparations got in the way. Now that they’re back on track, he thought they should check out some local galleries. Nina says she’d love to, but she’s swamped. He says they could do it another day, but she says she trusts him, and he has exquisite taste. Anything is an improvement over Helena’s portrait. Nina’s assistant Judy (where did she come from?) delivers a box for Nina. Valentin says it’s not from him. There’s a bottle of champagne inside, and Valentin says, it’s expensive. He wonders who wants to curry favor from her, but Nina says she wouldn’t go that far. A note congratulates Nina for kicking Valentin to the curb. It’s from Spencer.
On the phone at Kelly’s, Laura thanks someone, and fauns a little. Doc walks in, and asks if he should be jealous. She says, which answer will get her a kiss? And he tells her, any of them. She says she was talking to Dr. Clark, the art professor at PCU. Doc asks if she’ll be able to contact the artist who painted Helena’s portrait, but she says, unfortunately, J. Garrin passed away. He asks if she still believes there are clues in the painting. She says she does. That’s why it’s important that they find it before it’s too late.
Ava explains to Trina that the back room is where they keep the paintings that are in rotation. They store the other art in a facility. Trina asks if she only keeps records online, or does she have handwritten backup? Ava says, that’s a shrewd question. In art, providence is everything, so she keeps handwritten records as well. Trina suggests they put Helena’s portrait in the back room. It’s like the eyes are watching her everywhere she goes. Ava looks at the painting, and thinks Trina is right. It might be bad for business. They carry it to the back.
Lulu goes to Dustin’s classroom, and he asks if she’s still speaking to him. He’s sorry he had to cancel their date, but the faculty assembly ran long, and he has a bunch of essays to correct. She tells him that he doesn’t have to apologize, but he says he feels bad. She figures he hasn’t had a break, and brought the date to him. She knows it’s traditional to bring a hardworking teacher an apple, but – she closes the door, and takes a bottle out of her tote bag – will cider work instead?
Jason and Diane visit Sam at Pentonville, and asks if she’s okay. She nods, and says she misses the kids. She misses him, but it could be worse. Her cellmate is in solitary right now. He asks if she knows why, and Sam says she attacked her cellmate. Okay, I laugh. She asks Diane if there’s any chance she’ll be out soon, but Diane says there’s only so much she can do. Brice is gone, and there’s no one to corroborate his statement. They also lack evidence to debunk his claim.
Outside Nina’s office, Maxie says Peter knows Valentin better than anyone. Is there the slightest chance Valentin is telling the truth, and he and Obrecht had nothing to do with it? Peter doesn’t answer, and she says he won’t stop staring at his phone. He says he’s getting updates on Franco’s competency hearing.
Scotty asks Kim how far she’d go to lessen her grief over Oscar. She’s not sure what he means, and he asks if she doesn’t want another baby. Martin says, relevance, and the judge lets it slide, but urges Scotty to get to the point. Scotty asks if it’s true that Kim drugged the original Drew Cane, so she could conceive a child against his will. Kim stammers, and He says, yes or no. Did she drug a man to have a child with an unwilling participant? She says, yes.
Valentin tells Nina that Spencer hasn’t lost his proclivity for being annoying. He’s going to have egg on his face when he sees what he spent for nothing. Nina says she’s going to send it back. She’s trying to be virtuous. She tells him to go make art selections, and she’ll finish up at Crimson.
Sam asks what the chances are she’ll be convicted of Shiloh’s murder? Diane says it’s net neutral, and the only real evidence they have is Nurse Sheri, but that’s hearsay. That the PCPD was so ready to dismiss the charges speaks volumes. She’d say the odds in Sam’s favor are good. Jason asks what the time table is, and Diane says they have one option that could speed up the process.
Maxie tells Peter, she thought spending time with her would be more interesting than the competency hearing of a man he barely knows. Peter flashes back to Shiloh telling him that Drew might know more about him than he thinks. He tells Maxie, it’s an historic ruling, one way or the other. Maxie says, whoever wins, it’s going to be devastating. Why can’t The Invader run good news? Lucy comes in, and says, if it’s good news Maxie wants, it’s good news she shall receive. She’s about to make Peter’s dreams come true. (Oops. From the preview, I thought it must be Sasha.)
Kim says she didn’t go through with it. She admitted it and apologized. Scotty says did she have a change of heart, or did someone stop her? She says someone stopped her, and Scotty asks if it’s true that she’d have gone through with sexual assault if she hadn’t been stopped. Martin objects, saying this is a specific event that didn’t happen, and the judge says, sustained. (Boo! Hiss!) Kim says she knows it’s inexcusable, but she was grieving for her son, and confused. Scotty asks if she’s still grieving, and she says, yes, of course (🍷). He says, so is she still confused? Is that why she wants Franco to retain Drew’s memory? Perhaps she’d like to have another child with a dead man.
Martin says, objection; badgering the witness. Scotty says the witness is Martin’s biggest advocate for Franco’s medical competency. Franco gets up, and says, stop, but the Judge tells Martin to control his client. (She’s back on my good side.) Scotty says he’s made his point; no further questions. Martin has no redirect, so the judge says they’ll take a brief recess. Kim goes back to her seat, and Elizabeth tells Scotty, that was so brutal. He says, it has to be. He told her that he’d do what needed to be done.
Dustin tells Lulu the cider is even better than an apple, and she asks if he doesn’t mind that she showed up uninvited. She hasn’t seen him since she ruined Nina’s wedding. Dustin says, by telling her the truth. Lulu says, the situation was spiraling out of control. She thanks him, saying she has no one to confide in. Maxie’s too close to it. Dustin can’t imagine how confused Charlotte is. She loves Nina so much, and it must have been distressing for Nina to move out instead of getting married. Lulu says, that’s the thing. Nina took him back.
Alone at her desk, Ava flashes back to when she asked Laura if she gets the sense of being watched, and asking if Laura thinks she’s crazy. Valentin walks in, and Ava nearly goes through the ceiling. She says, what the hell? Why is he sneaking up on her? He says he wasn’t aware coming in the gallery door was sneaking up. He’s looking for some new artwork; maybe commissioning a portrait. She wonders if he’ll be on his trusty steed, but no matter what pose, he’ll considered overcompensating. Valentin says he was thinking of a family portrait; him, Nina, and Charlotte. Ava says if he thinks Nina is going to forgive him, he’s beyond delusional. He tells her that she’s behind the times. Nina took him back, and they’re more committed than ever.
Judy asks if Nina wants her to send back the champagne, but Nina says, it’s too nice to go to waste. She gives Judy some other office work.
Laura asks Doc how it went with Ava. He says, Ava’s not officially his patient, but… She understands; he wants to protect Ava’s privacy. She asks if he isn’t supposed to be at Franco’s competency hearing. Doc says he’s Scotty’s last witness. She’s surprised Doc’s not there already, and he says he didn’t want it to be hard on Franco. He must feel like he’s on display. He adds that she might want to come along. Elizabeth can use all the support she can get.
Martin asks Franco where he was stationed when he met Kim, and he says, San Diego. He was deployed to Afghanistan in 2003, and recorded as missing until 2012. Martin says, nine years. He asks if Franco remembers where he had shore leave, and he says, Barcelona, Berlin, and in July of 2010, he was in Turkey. Scotty objects, saying, these are the life events of Drew Cane. The witness is perjuring himself. Martin says he’s answering questions citing time and place; events as he remembers them. The judge says, overruled. Martin asks if Franco recalls what Kim just admitted to, saying she drugged Drew Cane. Franco says, of course, it was like, two minutes ago. Not really, but come on. Franco says, yes, and Martin asks, was she saying she drugged him? Franco says, no, it was the other Drew Cane, the one whose plane went down. Martin says, she never did that to him? He says, no, and Martin says the plaintiff just demonstrated awareness of time, space, and situations. His process of recollection determines that he’s of sound mind and body, as they’d need to prove in order to make a will, or agree to surgery. This has gone beyond the scope of egregious. He has no further questions. Franco looks a little confused. Is he rethinking this?
Cameron asks Elizbeth, what is it? She doesn’t know why, but July 2010 is significant. She can’t remember why. She suddenly says, oh my God. Scotty says, what? and she says, nothing. He says, if she doesn’t tell him, he’ll look it up.
Ava tells Valentin it’s impossible that Nina took him back. He tells her, take it up with Nina. They’ve rescheduled the wedding. She says, it’s because he’s Valentin Cassadine, the man who gets away with everything. Not this time. She grabs her jacket, and walks out. Valentin says, he guesses he should show himself out? He leaves, and Trina comes out, looking for Ava.
Diane tells Sam, the law entitles her to a bench trial, where the judge will render a verdict. It has the benefit of being quicker than a jury trial, since they don’t have to choose and question a jury. The judge stipulates the facts and evidence. She has no reason to doubt it won’t work in Sam’s favor. Jason says, it’s all up to the judge, and Diane says the judge who’s set to hear the case is Judge Madrigal; she’s famously pragmatic. Sam says, it’s a lot to think about. She asks Diane for some privacy, and when Diane leaves the room, she asks Jason what he thinks. He says he’s not comfortable putting Sam’s future in one person’s hands.
Peter says Lucy is going to make his dreams come true? She says the luxury condo he couldn’t get? Now he can. The buyer fell through, and she has first crack at it. He can have it if he acts fast. Maxie say’s he’ll take it, but Peter says he’s not ready just yet.
Scotty says Franco testified that he was on leave in Turkey in 2010. Franco says, right, and Scotty says, would he also say that included July 23rd? Franco says, yes, and Scotty says he’d like to enter into evidence, an article from the L.A. Prodigal from that date. Martin tries object, and the judge – who is playing with me today – tells Scotty, proceed. He reads Murder at the Mocha. A strangling at the art show on July 23rd; it’s believed the artist was the culprit. Does he have any idea who that was? Franco says, nope, and Scotty asks if he’s sure. Franco says he was in Turkey, and Scotty says, even if he was in Turkey, didn’t he read about it? How does he explain this? Scotty asks if this rings a bell, and shows Franco a picture of himself.
Maxie says she thought that was the condo Peter wanted; one big enough for all of them. It’s the one he took the $35K from the bank to put a down payment on. What changed? Ava storms out of the elevator, asking if Nina’s in there. Before Maxie can say anything, she walks into Nina’s office. Lucy wonders what that’s about. Ava tells Nina that she wants her scotch back. Nina says she thought it was a peace offering, and Ava says she thought they understood each other. She not wasting time burying the hatchet on a woman who would take back Valentin Cassadine.
Valentin sees Laura outside of Kelly’s, and says he wants a word. Doc says he doesn’t think so, but Laura says, it’s okay, and tells him to go on ahead. She tells Valentin, she’s assuming this is about Charlotte, but he says it’s about another of her grandchildren; Spencer. She’s his guardian, and responsible for him. Is she aware of the hell he’s trying to create?
Scotty asks Franco if the artist seems familiar, and tells him to read the caption under the picture. Franco reads, the artist Franco is being questioned in two murders. Scotty says, it’s a picture of him, but Franco says he wasn’t there. Scotty says, clearly, he was. He wasn’t in Turkey; he was in L.A. The LAPD was questioning him on two murder charges. Franco says, no, they were questioning Franco. Scotty asks how can the plaintiff be mentally competent when he can’t remember being questioned for two murders. No more questions. Elizabeth says she didn’t want Scotty to do what he did, and he says he’d do anything to get his son back.
Lulu tells Dustin that Valentin acted just as surprised as Nina, saying he had nothing to do with it. Dustin says, come on, and she says, that’s how he’s spinning it. Dustin says, and Nina chose to believe it. Lulu tells him, Sasha and Obrecht didn’t say it outright, but they implied Valentin was in on it. He says no wonder she’s a reporter, and she says to be honest, she came by it naturally. Both of her parents have a pathological need to right wrongs, and be heroes. He needs to get used to it if he’s going to be around her. He says he’s glad she thinks he’ll be around long enough to get used to it.
Lucy asks what Maxie and Peter think Nina and Ava are talking about. Not a follow-up piece? Or maybe Ava is mad that they’re not doing one. Maxie says Peter suddenly doesn’t want the condo? Lucy says she’s seen it before. When it gets to signing on the dotted line, the buyer panics. She tells Peter not to be nervous. She needs his commitment, or someone else will snap it up. Peter says, the condo is fine. It’s just… Maxie tells Lucy that Peter will call her, and Lucy says, don’t take too long. She leaves, and Maxie says she thought this is what Peter wanted; something big enough for her and James to move into. Isn’t that what he wants? He says he wants it more than anything, but he’s worried about something getting in the way of their happiness. Maxie says, like what?
Jason tells Sam that just a judge will be determining if she’s innocent or guilty. It still scares him that it’s just one person. Sam says, a jury could be bias, especially if they know her history. They could find her guilty. Jason says they need to catch Peter. Sam says, especially if Franco loses. Then they can forget it.
Martin says his medical witness has been unavoidably detained, but thinks she’ll be there within the hour; there was an emergency. Trina slips in. She tells Cameron that she figured he needed a friend, and it’s more interesting than anything she’d binge watch. Doc comes in, and Scotty asks if the judge can hear his testimony now. Doc thinks they need to talk first, but Scotty says he’ll be fine. Martin agrees, and the judge tells Scotty, okay. Scotty tells Elizabeth, he’s going to send it home. Doc is sworn in, and Scotty says he’s the closer; the cat’s in the bag. Scotty tells Doc that he’ll just cut to the chase. Doc is Franco’s regular therapist, right? Doc says he is, and he recently had a session with him at Shadybrook for the purpose of determining Franco’s competency. Scotty says, in Doc’s expert opinion, is the man in question completely in control of his faculties? Doc says, yes, and Kim smirks. I want to smack her.
Jason tells Sam that he doesn’t like the idea of a bench trial, but he’s not the one sitting behind bars. It’s her decision, and he’ll support no matter what. She says she knows. Diane thought the judge would be objective, and they’ll get it over with faster. She hates being away from Danny and Scout, and doesn’t want to be away from them any longer
Scotty believes Doc misunderstood, but Doc says his answer is definitive. After speaking with Franco, he meets the legal standards. Really? It’s okay to think you’re someone else now? Another real person? There must be a lot of Jesuses out there. Scotty asks if Franco said he was Franco, and Doc says, no. He believes himself to be Drew Cane, but that doesn’t mean he’s unaware, and incapable of making medical decisions. Scotty says, the man in question is legally Franco. So how can Doc say he’s in his right mind? Martin says Scotty is badgering his own witness. Scotty asks for permission to refer to the witness as hostile, and the judge asks, on what grounds? He’s Scotty’s medical expert. Scotty has no further questions. Martin says, just to be clear. Doc doesn’t support Elizabeth continuing as Franco’s medical proxy. Doc says, no, because the man he examined, however he identifies himself, is fully aware of making decisions, and capable of choosing medical care. I have a headache, and the judge asks if there are any other witnesses except for Martin’s expert. Martin says they don’t need to wait. He concurs with Scotty’s witness. No other witnesses are necessary. The judge says she’ll take a short recess to deliberate. Scotty looks defeated, and Cameron says, this is bad, isn’t it? Franco holds Kim. Bleh.
Well how about this? If Franco thinks he’s a totally different existing person (I know Drew is dead, but he was a real human), wouldn’t he be making medical decisions for someone else? He’d need Franco’s permission. It’s not like he thinks he’s a woman, and that’s the kind of situation they’re comparing it to. This is driving me nuts. Come on, Scotty, think.
Nina tells Ava that she needs to leave, and Ava says Nina needs to wake up. She doesn’t honestly think Sasha came up with all this on her lonesome; faked three DNA tests, and duped Valentin? She’s barely old enough to rent a car. Nina says it’s not Ava’s concern, and she knows nothing. Ava tells Nina to open her eyes. Valentin is obsessed with her; she’s gotten under his skin. He’ll tell himself that he’s doing it in her best interest. He’ll tell any lie, and break any rule. He’ll do whatever he can do to keep her by his side, and he’ll never let her move on. Nina asks if Ava is still talking about her, or projecting what Ryan did to Ava?
Valentin says Laura had no idea that Spencer sent champagne to Nina’s office, no doubt on her dime, taunting them about their interrupted wedding. As a child, he was a nuisance; as an adolescent, he’s becoming problematic. If he ever becomes a threat, Valentin will deal with Spencer the way he deals with threats. Laura asks if he’s threatening to harm her grandson. He says, of course (🍷) not, but he knows things that would make life difficult for Spencer. She says, like what? and he tells her, tighten the leash. That’s all he has to say.
Ava tells Nina, throwing Ryan in her face is a low blow, even for her. Nina says she’s sympathetic to what happened to Ava. It was sick, horrible, and beyond imagination, but Valentin isn’t Ryan. He’s not a killer. Ava says he killed Nikolas right in front of her. Nina says Ava was quick to offer her support, but not to help her; to hurt Valentin. Ava may have been a fool for Ryan, but Nina is nobody’s fool. Ava says they’ll see about that an walks out. Nina takes out the champagne.
Lulu tells Dustin, not that it wasn’t fun, but she’d love to get a real date on the books. She asks how his schedule is tomorrow, and he says, even more harrowing. He’s chaperoning the Halloween dance. Lulu says, the Haunted Star is hosting it; she’d forgotten. He says she must be taking Rocco and Charlotte trick-or-treating, but she says, Olivia and Ned are taking them with Leo. She has a rare night off. What about next week? He says he’s allowed to bring a guest. Would she like to be his date to the dance?
Diane tells Sam and Jason that she double-check, and the judge is still confirmed to hear Sam’s case. She sweet talked the clerk, and can get it heard in a couple of days. Jason asks what she thinks, and Diane says she thinks the judge is fair, but it’s a big decision. Ultimately, it rests with Sam. Sam says she wants to get home as soon as possible. Let’s do the bench trial.
Peter wonders if they should check on Nina, but Maxie says, she can handle Ava. She wants to talk about them. What could get in the way of their happiness? Peter’s phone dings, and she says, it’s a teachable relationship moment. This is not the time to be on the phone. He stares at the phone, and she says, what is it? He says, the hearing. The judge is coming back with a decision.
Kim tells Franco that she’s sorry he had to hear about what she did to Drew. It was a horrible time for her. The judge tells everyone to be seated. She’s made a determination in the competency hearing of Franco Baldwin.
Julian is surprised, Lucas and Brad go to therapy, and the judge renders a decision.

Martin questions Elizabeth. He says she loved Jake Doe, and withheld evidence of his identity to benefit herself. She tells him, the situation is different, but he says isn’t she doing something similar with his client in the name love? Isn’t it true she kept Drew’s identity a secret so she could have him all to herself? She says, that was Drew Cane, the man. This man isn’t Drew Cane.
Josslyn tells Sonny that Donna is resting in the nursery, and Avery is having a tea party with the nanny. She wonders where Michael is, and Sonny says he had something to do, and Jason was summoned to Franco’s hearing.
Ava is at the gallery. She hears something, and asks, who’s there? She reaches into her purse for her gun, but it’s Trina. She’s there to apply for the intern position.
Jax meets Curtis and Laura at Charlie’s. He asks if they have any more leads on the codicil, and Laura says they think the portrait holds the key, but Valentin threw it in the trash. Jax says, so they’re back to square one, but Curtis says, not necessarily. Laura says Doc analyzed the pattern in the portrait, and found a constellation in the jewel work around the neck of Helena’s jacket. They did research, and there is a constellation just like it, that points to Spoon Island, They think it’s the location of the codicil. Jax asks if Curtis has talked to Hayden, and Curtis says, that’s the next step, but there’s been radio silence. Hayden was supposed to have breakfast with Finn, and never showed up.
At the hospital. Hayden tells Finn, Violet is sleeping . Now would be a good time to talk. Finn says, since she ran out on him the morning of their wedding, there hasn’t been time to talk? Hayden says, just let her… Finn says, what? Leave another note? The last one said she’d lost the baby; is this one going to say, just kidding? No more lies. Why didn’t she tell him about their daughter?
Scotty says counsel is accusing Elizabeth of imposing one man’s identity onto another. Elizabeth says she’s not the one doing it; Kim is. Martin reproaches Elizabeth for finger pointing, and the judge says that’s what Martin has been doing at length. Ha-ha! Liking this judge. Martin says Elizabeth wanted to keep Jake Doe from knowing he was Jason, but Elizabeth says Kim knows this is her husband Franco, and wants to keep him from his own memories, family, and life. Scotty says Kim wanted to keep her claws in him, so to speak. She lost her son, and her son’s father, so it’s completely understandable that she’d want to hang onto the next best thing. He asks Elizabeth if she feels it was a mistake not to tell Jake Doe his true identity, and she says it was a terrible mistake, and she was wrong to do it. So is Kim. She tells Kim, do the right thing, and let Franco be Franco.
Finn asks why Hayden wrote the note telling him their baby was dead. She says it seemed like the cleanest way out. He asks her to define clean. She says Jared was blackmailing her because she’d hit a child. It was an accident, but she never paid. She was happy with Finn, ready to buy a house, and be a mother, and all she could think about was the girl she hit and the girl’s parents. How would she feel in their position? Finn says he could have helped her through it, but she says once you steal money from your place of work, putting it back doesn’t change what you did. She digresses, and tells him that he has pretty eyes, then continues. When Finn confronted her, she knew must have hated her. Finn says he never hated her, and she says she hated herself. Finn says he was angry and disappointed, but he still loved her. He went looking for her, but she was gone. Not a word, not a note; nothing but the stupid ring. Hayden says, it was a nice ring. Finn understands why she left, but he’ll never understand why she told him she lost the baby. Did she want to hurt him that much?
Jax says, one step forward, and two steps back, but Curtis says, not necessarily (which should be the new drinking phrase). He has a plan in the works. Jax asks if he’d like to share, and Curtis says he wants to iron out the details first. Jax says, in the meantime, he has personal business to take care of, and leaves. Laura asks if Curtis really has a plan, or did he just say that to appease Jax? Curtis says he’s got an idea.
Trina tells Ava that she saw the position online. Ava says her assistant must have posted it, explaining that she’s back from a leave of absence. Trina says the ad said she needs someone on Wednesday afternoons, and Ava says her applicants are usually art majors or graduate school students, but Trina says she’s extremely motivated, and has great grades. She hands Ava a copy of her resumé, and says there’s a digital copy available online. Ava appreciates Trina’s enthusiasm, but she’s looking for someone more experienced. Trina says she interned at the fine arts museum. Dev comes in, carrying something in a black garbage bag. He says he’s glad the gallery is open, and asks what Trina is doing there. Trina says she’s applying for an internship. Ava asks who he is, and what he’s doing there. He says, good afternoon, beautiful lady. His name is Dev Corbin, and he has a piece of rare artwork for her.
Martin tells the judge to Instruct the witness not to address his client, but she says he’s not the judge, and reminds him that she runs the courtroom, not him. Liking her even more. She tells Elizabeth to confine her answers to what’s asked, and Scotty says he has nothing further. Judge Lasser says the witness is dismissed, and they’re going to have a brief recess.
Monica sees Jason come in, and thanks him for being there. He says he was summoned an hour ago by Franco’s attorney. He’s not sure what Martin thinks he can do.
Scotty tells Elizabeth what happened with Jake Doe has no bearing on what’s going on, but she says, it felt like it did. He says, it doesn’t matter what went on with Drew. This is about what’s going on Franco. He still has another arrow in his quiver.
Martin apologizes to Franco and Kim, saying he didn’t think it would go like that. Franco says, Elizabeth told the truth, and Martin says, about being a liar. Kim says Elizabeth told her how terrible she felt about it. Martin says Elizabeth seems to have put a lid on her guilt, but Kim says, it doesn’t seem fair. Martin asks if she doesn’t want to make sure her boyfriend is there to stay. The stakes are high, and there’s no room for fair.
Jax goes to Sonny’s, and asks Josslyn if Donna is home. She says Donna made her big entrance, and it tired her out. Carly is with her upstairs. Sonny asks if Jax wants a drink or a snack; maybe something to go. Jax says he wanted to give Donna a gift. He gives Josslyn a small box, and tells her to open it. She says she guesses Donna is probably too little to do it herself. She looks inside, and says, he remembered. She hugs him.
Ava says Dev brought her a panting in a garbage bag. He says he passes by the gallery all the time, and they have such cool stuff. He thought it looked expensive. It’s the painting of Helena, and Ava says, that’s Helena Cassadine. Dev asks if she’s famous, and Trina says, he’s new. She’ll get him a copy of Lucy’s book; it will tell him everything. Dev says he saw it at a flea market, and thought it might be worth something, so he took a shot and bought it. Ava says she knows the man who owns the painting, and doubts Valentin would give it up and it found its way to a flea market.
Curtis says the painting is in a landfill somewhere, and Laura says, classic Valentin. Curtis says Helena was a discerning, deliberate woman. She wouldn’t hire just anyone to paint her portrait, so what’s special about the artist? He asks if Laura knows who painted it, and she says, no, but she has a picture of it on her tablet. Maybe they can see the signature. Maybe the answer isn’t in the art, but in the artist.
Hayden tells Finn that she didn’t want to hurt him more than he’d been hurt already. She was basically a fugitive. Monica could have sent the cops after her at any time, and she couldn’t risk her child being born in prison. Finn asks if it occurred to her that he would have stood by her. She says, of course (🍷) it did, but she’d made a mess of his life, and didn’t want to make it worse. He says, so she’s telling him this was one big selfless gesture. Hayden says, yes… and no.
Finn says, Hayden ran away and hid his child to protect him or her? She says she was a walking disaster, so she ran. She went to LA, where Curtis found the note. Finn says, she told him the baby was gone, and it broke him. He hears her words, but doesn’t understand why she told him the baby was gone.
Ava tells Dev that she’s not interested, and he asks if the frame isn’t worth something. She says, conventional portraits don’t sell, but Trina says, it’s not just some random old lady; Helena is a Port Charles legend, and the painting is creepy and off-putting. She points out the reflection in the teapot, and Ava says she’ll give Dev $100, take it or leave it. He says it’s a pleasure doing business with her. She goes into the back, and Trina asks where Dev really got it. He didn’t steal it, did he? He says he found it in the garbage, and asked the sanitation guys if he could take it. He has an errand to run, but says he’ll treat Trina to Kelly’s afterward. Ava comes back and gives Dev his money. Trina thanks her for her time, but Ava asks if Trina would mind staying.
Judge Lasser says she wants to hear both sides before the expert psychiatric testimony. Martin calls Monica to the stand. He asks who this man is to her, and she says he has the personality and memories of Drew, therefore he’s part of her family.
Scotty asks Monica if she gave birth to Drew, and she says, no. He says Drew was her late husband’s son with Susan Moore. Monica says they raised Jason, who was Alan’s son with Susan, and when she found out Jason had a twin, she welcomed him into the family. He asks if Alan ever met Drew, and she says, no. He says so there’s no blood relation to her with the original Drew, but the connection she had passed away. This so-called Drew has Franco’s DNA, but she says, DNA doesn’t define a person. He says she’s a physician not a philosopher, and she says she knows DNA doesn’t make a human being; it’s neurology that makes us who we are. This man has Franco’s DNA, but Drew’s neurology. That makes him Drew Cane.
Martin calls Jason to the stand.
Hayden says she lied about the baby being gone for Finn’s sake. He says the next time she wants to do him a favor, don’t do it by leaving the country. She says she wanted to have the baby overseas, and raise it on her own, and she did at first, in Finland. Violet was born on the coldest, longest night of the year. Their daughter was born fast, and came out smiling. The nurses called her valo, which means light, because she was a joy. Finn asks why she didn’t name their daughter that. She says she overheard him tell Roxie that he liked violets, and every smile, expression, even the shape of her face reminded Hayden of him. Finn says she still didn’t tell him, but she says she asked him to come to Rome and he didn’t show. She assumes he was already involved with Anna, and he says he had a lot going on at the time. Hayden says she’d hoped that somehow, against all odds and reason, they would fall back into each other arms, and she’d tell him, but it was too late.
Josslyn looks at a heart-shaped necklace in the box, and says it’s just like Lady Jane got for her when she was a baby. It’s upstairs in her jewelry box; she breaks it out on special occasions. Jax hopes this one is as special for Donna. Sonny says, Lady Jane was a class act. Josslyn tells Jax, on behalf of her baby sister, she thanks him. Dev walks in, carrying two big boxes. He says he didn’t expect everyone to be there, and Josslyn says, Donna is home. Sonny asks, what’s in the boxes?
Martin asks if Jason recently visited Drew. Jason says he visited that man, indicating Franco, in Shadybrook, where he’s registered as Franco Baldwin. Martin asks if he was there to speak to Franco or Drew, and Jason says he had a question for Drew about his time in Afghanistan. Martin says, so for all intents and purposes, that person is Drew Cane? Jason says he’s not qualified to say who he is. He can do that himself. It’s Scotty’s turn, and he says Jason doesn’t know or care who he is, as long as Franco is gone. Isn’t that right?
Laura tells Curtis, the artist is J. Garrin, and he’s known for burying clues in his paintings. Sometimes they’re fun Easter eggs, but sometimes they’re more meaningful. It would be just like Helena to hide the clues to the fortune in her portrait. Curtis asks if she thinks there’s more clues to find, and she says she thinks so.
Ava says Trina did her a favor, convincing her to buy the painting. It’s a J. Garrin. Trina says she could pretend and lie, saying she knows who that is and look it up later, but she’s opting for honesty, and hopes it works in her favor. Ava says, it may, and Trina asks who he is, and why he’s special. Ava tells her, his paintings are like puzzles. He hides his signature and clues, sometimes codes, and part of the fun is to figure out what he’s telling through the painting. Trina says, like theDavinci Code? and Ava says, kind of. She’s a Garrin aficionado. Her daughter enjoyed figuring it out as well. Trina says she heard about Kiki and what happened to Ava. Ava asks, from the Crimson article or town gossip? and Trina says, all of the above. She was worried when she stopped seeing Ava at the gallery. Ave says Trina was worried about her? Trina says she can’t imagine how Ava must feel, but she’s glad Ava came back. Ava says, so is she.
Scotty says, Jason values Drew’s life over Franco’s, right? Jason says, yeah, and Scotty says the same situation happened to Jason. His mind was changed and altered from a car accident when he was nineteen and a medical student, turning him into who he is now. Jason says, yes, and Scotty asks if he thinks the town would judge the old Jason as more valuable than the Jason he is now. Martin says, enough. It’s hearsay, and bordering on slander. When did the hearing become about Jason? Scotty says he’s done with Jason, and the judge tells them to take a short break.
Cameron and Elizabeth go into the hallway, and Cameron asks Jason why he did that? Why? He should have just said Franco was Franco. He gets Jason doesn’t like Franco. For the longest time, he couldn’t stand Franco either. But his mom was in love with him, and Jake and Aiden loved him. Jake is Jason’s son. Why couldn’t he suck it up, and say he was Franco, and give Jake back the stepdad he loves? Jason says, sorry. He was asked questions, and he answered honestly. Cameron says, of all people, Jason should understand. Elizabeth follows Cameron back inside without saying anything. Monica comes out, and thanks Jason for coming and saying what he did; that Drew should be able to speak for himself, and decide who he is.
Finn tells Hayden if he’d known they had a baby, he would have been on the next plane. She says she didn’t want him to come out of obligation, but because he wanted to see her. When she found out he was engaged, she was happy for him. She didn’t want to wreck his life all over again. He asks how she thinks a child would do that, and she says, if he thinks it wouldn’t change his and Anna’s lives, he’s uninformed or delusional. He asks why she didn’t let him decide if it’s something he could handle, and she says, you don’t get to test drive a child. What would Anna do, suddenly being a stepmother? So she left it. She and Violet were happy in Europe, and she could imagine meeting Finn in Rome, falling into each other’s arms, with Violet between them
Dev tells Sonny that he went to a box store, and got chocolate nutty bars. The school vending machine doesn’t have them, and he thought he could mark them up, and make some money. Jax asks if that isn’t illegal. The cosmopolitan business man doesn’t know the answer to that? Sonny says, it’s a free market, and Dev says he wants to pay his own way, and generate some income. Jax says, selling candy bars? Dev says, it’s amazing the things people throw away. Josslyn asks if he’s dumpster diving, but Dev says he asks if he can take them. People leave things on the curb all the time. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure. Josslyn looks on her phone, and says, in their state, it’s legal to sell small goods for a profit. Chocolate nutty bars are gluten free, and they’ll love them at school. Sonny says it’s a creative way to generate income, and Jax says, it could be worse. Sonny says it’s no different from what he does with coffee, or Jax does with corporations.
On the stand, Kim says he remembers so much; the little things, details of their time together. He even remembers things she forgot. She tried to remind the other Drew of them, but couldn’t… She knows the physical man she fell in love with years ago, Oscar’s father, is gone, but all of a sudden he’s here again. Her Drew. I have to note that Franco has rarely changed his expression throughout this whole hearing, and when he does, it’s very slight. Kim tells Elizabeth she’s so sorry. Somehow Drew’s life has overtaken Franco’s. Franco made the decision to save Cameron, and Elizabeth has to accept that Franco is gone, and Drew lives where Franco used to be. Scotty says Kim talked about sacrifice. What if Cameron’s memory had been put in Oscar’s brain? She says, that didn’t happen, and he asks if she would have fought to get him back, or just give up. Ho-hum; he’s gone. Kim doesn’t know, and he asks if she wouldn’t want her son back. Martin says he’s leading the witness. Scotty says she knows Franco is his son. From one parent to another, why is Drew’s life worth fighting for, and his son’s is not?
Finn says Hayden kept his daughter from him because he’d moved on, and she couldn’t have him back. Hayden says when he puts it that way, it sounds petty. That’s the downside of love. For what it’s worth, she never stopped loving him. She starts to touch his face, but Finn stops her. He says he wants to see Violet, not as a doctor, but as a father. She says, Violet is right in there. He says he wants to sit by her bedside and talk; tell her a story, or maybe have her tell one to him. She tells him, careful what you wish for; their kid has a weird imagination. He says, then they’ll get along fine. If she’s asleep, he just wants to look at her. Hayden says she’s just sorry for everything. She’ll go with him, since Violet doesn’t know him. He asks who’s fault that is, and she says it’s entirely hers. He says, come on. Let’s go see our daughter. Tears slide down both their faces as they walk together.
Curtis tells Laura, the clues might not be visible to the naked eye, and Laura says, agreed. What if the clues are underneath? Like how they take an x-ray, and there’s another image underneath. Picasso had one, and Van Gogh had one that was disturbing. (I’ll have to check that out.) Curtis says, if they’re going to get an x-ray, that means they actually have to find the physical painting. Laura says, if it hasn’t been found already.Any thoughts?
Ava tells Trina that she’s an impressive young lady; a scholar and an athlete. She must not have much free time. Trina says that’s why she just wanted one afternoon a week. Ava asks if Trina wouldn’t rather use the time to study or be with her friends. Trina says she thinks art is important. No matter how messed up you are, art makes you feel like you’re not alone. Artists are messed up; the good ones are anyway. She tells Ava that it was great talking to her. Ava says, likewise. She’s hired.
Jax asks if it doesn’t bother Sonny that Dev is in the house. Sonny says Dev lived on the street in Turkey. Survival instincts don’t go away, you just do a better job at hiding them. Jax is concerned it’s a short road from capitalist to con artist, but Sonny says he’s got his eye on Dev. Jax says, if the cops come around… Sony knows; Jax won’t lie for him. Jax says, just so they’re clear. Jax leaves, and Sonny asks if he can speak with Dev for a minute, but Dev says, Josslyn can stay. She’s going to be his consigliere – he got that from The Godfather. Sonny says he knows he defended Dev with Jax, but he doesn’t like Dev’s business endeavor. It could work if Dev was on the up and up, or was really from Bridgeport, but it might cause unwanted attention. Josslyn asks what he’s saying, and Sonny says he thinks Dev should rethink it.
Monica tells Jason, about what Scotty said, she doesn’t know how he would have evolved as a doctor. He asks if she would have liked him better, but she says it’s not his occupation that makes him her son. She tells him that she loves him, and they hug.
Scotty says they’ve established that Kim fell in love with Drew in San Diego, and had Drew’s son. She lost her biological child with Drew, but how far would she go to ease her grief over Oscar? Kim says she doesn’t understand, and he says, didn’t she want to have another baby? Martin says, it’s irrelevant, and the judge shoots him a look, but tells Scotty, get to the point. Scotty asks if it’s not true that Kim drugged Drew because she wanted to have another baby with him against his will. Everyone looks sick.
Tomorrow, Lucy says she’s going to make Sasha’s dreams come true, Doc takes the stand, and Diane says there’s one option that can speed up the process.
Million Dollar Listing New York
Ryan had scored a listing that had 100 feet of Central Park views, and his exclusive was about to expire. In a buyer’s market, the problem seemed to be the apartment was designed in Ruhlmann style, a designer that Ryan said epitomized art deco, and not what buyers are looking for in 2019. Like the ground floor loft, for the right person, it would be the right property, but that person needed to be found. Ryan explained that most buyers wouldn’t pay the price if they could find something newer. To make matters more of a pita, the seller was Ian Simpson Reisner, a blast from the show’s past. He might be a fabulous developer, but his personality leaves something to be desired. Ryan called him scary, but I think he’s weird, full of himself, and a bit creepy; the type that loves to laugh at someone else’s expense. Ian dangled the promise of also giving Ryan the downstairs duplex that he might be listing one day. Ryan talked him into extending the exclusive, as well as a price reduction, but Ian had a requirement – he wanted it to be a co-listing. Having heard Luis was back in town, that’s who he wanted on board. We saw clips of the last time Luis dealt with Ian, who insisted on calling him Ricky Ricardo, making rude passes at him under the guise of a joke, and requesting Luis do things like pick up his dry cleaning. In other words, he was pretty degrading. Ryan thought bringing in another broker would muddy the waters, but Ian insisted, so Ryan asked Luis to meet him for a drink. They showed each other pictures of their new babies, and Ryan pointed out how much baby Leela looked like Luis. In his interview, Ryan says he heard that girls often look like their fathers, but Zena looked nothing like him, adding that he was grateful she didn’t have grey hair. When he finally broached the subject of working with Ian, Luis said he loved Ryan, but absolutely not. He reminded Ryan that Ian had cut his commission last time, because Ian was also the owner of the apartment that Luis sold. He did finally agree to a meeting.
In his interview, Luis said, three years ago he definitely wouldn’t have met with Ian, but now that he had a baby, he didn’t want to say no to something that wasn’t going to cost him anything. Ryan was concerned about having both an unpredictable seller and co-lister. Right off the bat, although Ian complimented Luis on selling the unit at a record price, Ian began to call Luis Ricky. Luis made it clear that he did not take kindly to that, and also wasn’t picking up any laundry. Ian said it was all in fun, and Luis said he understood it was for Ian’s amusement, but Luis wasn’t there to amuse him. He was there to do business, and insisted on a one-year exclusive, even though Ryan was good with six months. In Ryan’s interview, he was worried that in having so much time, Ian would hold out for a better price even if they got offers. In Luis’s interview, he said he had the leverage because Ryan needed him and Ian wanted him. Ian wanted to think about it, but Luis wanted an answer now. Ian told Luis that he’d come a long way, and agreed to the year. He told Luis not to make him regret it, but also ended up addressing him as Mr. Ortiz.
Tyler was back searching for a property for Alex and Lyndi, since their budget had dropped by a million dollars. He showed them a gorgeous place in Brooklyn that had private rooftop space, and a pet washing station downstairs. In his interview, Tyler wasn’t sure they’d go for Brooklyn, since Alex had already been freaking out about moving from the lower east side to midtown. They liked the apartment, but wouldn’t budge from their $2.7 million offer, which was $500K under the asking price. Tyler got a break when his brother and sister-in-law swung by on their way to South America. Tyler thought the van they’d revamped into a mini-house was the most impressive renovation he’d ever seen. Miraculously, the Brooklyn seller ended up agreeing to the price drop, but Tyler wasn’t sure if Alex and Lyndi had move on mentally. Apparently, they really loved the place, since it was an immediate yes.
Steve was also focused on Brooklyn, and a Bedford Stuyvesant townhouse on Putman Avenue. In his interview, he said Bed Stuy was in throes of change, but there were still pockets of areas that weren’t there yet. He considered Putman good, but not great. The sellers were a former Vogue editor and a restaurateur. He said even though they had renovated, they hadn’t taken the history out of it, keeping the amazing moldings and exposed brick. A huge selling point was a backyard pool, but the sellers wanted 35% over the market’s comps. Since they’d been majorly screwed over by a contractor to the tune of $100K, Steve wanted to help them recoup, and agreed to their price. Steve’s broker Jess, who had soured a bit on the real estate game, was back in it, and he gave her the listing. He also figured her moving to Brooklyn didn’t hurt. Steve was a stickler on not pointing out any negatives to a potential buyer, but Jess wanted to be more authentic, preferring to show the apartment on her own without Steve standing over her, to which he agreed.
Fredrik was back in NYC, and got a listing for an apartment in Soho that had 11 foot ceilings and 10 foot windows. He was thrilled with the privacy, light, and open space. The seller, who’d done the renovation, wanted to move on to her next project, a triplex penthouse in the same building. She told Fredrik that if he did a good job, the penthouse would also be his to sell when she was done. She was concerned that Fredrik would pressure her into lowering the price, but in a rare moment, he told her he thought it was worth more than she was asking, which was fine by her. Fredrik had an open house, inviting 400 brokers, as well as people from the fashion world. Tyler brought a potential buyer, but said it was so crowded, the only thing he could see was Fredrik, since he was seven feet tall and in a silver suit. The buyer finally got a tour, but Fredrik didn’t think it was what she was looking for, and Tyler was not too pleased with the brush off.
Next week – the finale. Tyler has his biggest listing yet and is feeling the pressure from his bosses, and Ramona Singer comes on the scene.
Just wondering. Who talked Julie Andrews into being on Watch What Happens Live? For the second time, no less.
That is the question. I’m not sure what’s going to be happening tomorrow, except for a Halloween soiree at my place, so it might just be GH highlights. In the meantime, my favorite version of this song. It should come as no surprise, one of my favorite films is Sid & Nancy, a horror film in its own right. It’s like my father once told me, it’s the live ones you have to worry about. And whatever happened to Chloe Webb anyway?

General Hospital
Donna is ready to go home, and Sonny can’t wait. Carly tells him they just need to do the last of the paperwork, and their girl will be ready for her first car ride. Bobbie says Donna is ready to take on the world. And she’s beautiful. Sonny says, like mother like mother like daughter.
Michael is having trouble putting up a welcome home banner. Josslyn watches, and he asks if she’s just going to stand there. She says, no. She’s going to take a picture of his disastrous attempt. She says she can’t wait for Donna to get there. She sees a fancy sippy cup in a box, and takes it out. She says, it’s beautiful, but there’s no card, and Michael says it’s from him; it’s a regift. He hopes Donna won’t mind. He got for Jonah, but wants Donna to have it.
Jason is at Kelly’s with Danny, looking at a model car Danny put together. Jason says, it’s amazing, and asks if he did it by himself. Danny says he did, but it took forever. Jason compliments him on sticking with it and his attention to detail. Danny wants to put together a motorcycle next, and suggests he study Jason’s bike, and maybe take a ride on it. Jason says Danny’s mom will have to sign off on that. Danny wants to get a cupcake for Scout, and Jason says he’s a good brother. Danny says Jason told him that they’re supposed to take care of each other until their mom gets home. When does he think that will be?
Outside the courtroom, Martin tells Kim and Franco that it will get emotional. They’ll be doing everything to pull at the heartstrings, so stay calm and stick to the facts. Inside, Scotty tells Cameron to keep his cool, and pay no attention to what that lawyer says. Martin walks in with Kim and Franco, and everyone faces each other.
Finn tells Hayden to repeat that. The patient in that room… She says, is her daughter. She’s his daughter too.
Elizabeth tells Franco, it’s not too late to stop this, and he says he could say the same to her. Martin says, the decision is in Judge Lasser’s hands now. Let’s keep the last minute tricks out of it. Scotty asks if he means tricks like dressing his client up in a Halloween costume. Elizabeth says, her husband is a brave man, but he was never in the Navy. Franco has no right to wear that uniform. Martin says her husband isn’t his client; Drew Cane is, and he has every right to wear that uniform. He understands it’s an emotional time for her – he calls her Miss Webber, and she says, Mrs. Webber-Baldwin – but it’s an equally emotional time for his client. Elizabeth tells Kim that she’s sorry it’s gone this far. She wishes there had been another way. Kim says she does too. The judge is introduced, and she reminds them that it’s not a trial; it’s a competency hearing. Grandstanding is a waste of her time, and will not be tolerated. They’re here to determine the competency of the individual known as Franco Baldwin, who now calls himself Drew Cane.
Jason asks if Danny is sure he’s okay with staying the rest of the week at Grandma Monica’s. Danny says if they do, their mom isn’t coming home, and Jason says he’s a sharp kid, so he’s going to be straight. His mom has to be in Pentenville for a while. Danny asks, how long a while is, and Jason says, it depends. If he can find evidence and get the charges dropped, she’ll be home soon. Danny asks what if he doesn’t, and Jason says, then she’ll have to stay until her trial, probably a couple of weeks. It’s hard to tell. Danny doesn’t get why this happened, and Jason says, someone lied. They said Sam did something she didn’t do, and he’s going to prove it. Monica comes in, and Jason says he was just talking to Danny about him and Scout spending the rest of the week with her. Monica says she’d love it, and Danny says they’re good. She says she’s in the mood for coffee and a donut, and Danny offers to get for her. She tells him to pick out donuts for the both of them, and sits. Jason thanks her for letting the kids stay. She says, no problem. She loves having the house fill up with a whole new generation. She supposes he knows they found the black box from Drew’s plane. Jason says he’s sorry; he knows how close they were. Monica knows there was friction between Jason and Drew. She was hoping they’d get closer after Oscar died. Jason says they’d started. Oscar wanted them to build the treehouse together, and it’s in progress. Monica says there’s so much she doesn’t know about Drew’s life. That’s why she wants to spend more time with the person who can give her insight on his childhood, and adolescence. Jason says she means Franco.
Michael says he was at Wyndham’s before Jonah was born, and almost passed it up, thinking it was too extravagant. It reeked of privilege. Then he got stuck on the idea of a tradition. Something Jonah could pass down. This way, the tradition can go on. It can be passed down with Donna. Josslyn wonders how he can come up with something so generous, and not be stuck in his grief. He tells her not to give him too much credit. He’s done a lot of grieving, and had counseling to get to this point. It helps to be around people he cares about, and who care about him. Josslyn tells him that Dustin said the same thing, and Michael says if her teacher said it, then he must know what he’s talking about. Josslyn hopes he knows he can always count on her, like she can always count on him. Michael says then she can go up the stairs, and help him hang the banner before Donna walks in. Josslyn says, she’s walking already? That kid is amazing.
Sonny tells Donna that she’s had big challenges, but she’s come shining through, and Carly says her daddy is right. She can’t wait for Donna to meet everyone. Bobbie tells them there’s one more form, but Sonny can sign it. He leaves, and Bobbie tells Carly that she’s sure the doctor told her that Donna is still going to need some series of follow-ups. Carly says she’s scheduled that already. If she has any questions, it’s good there’s a nurse in the family. Bobbie asks how Carly is doing, and Carly says, the incision is healing perfectly. Bobbie says that’s not what she meant. How is Carly feeling? Any sadness, or fears, or mood swings? Carly thanks her for checking in, but says there have been no signs of postpartum depression. She’s excited and nervous, but whatever the unknowns, she’s never been more prepared to face them. They hug, and Sonny asks if Carly is ready.
Finn looks stunned, and Hayden says she knows it’s a lot to process, but the most important thing is their child is sick. Finn says their child. The sick little girl is their daughter. They’ll deal with everything else later. He goes into the room. Epiphany is there, and the little girl in the bed looks at Finn. Epiphany says their patent is being very brave. Her fever seems to have spiked. Finn tells her to ask Dr. Navari from pediatrics to join them, but Epiphany says she already did that and the doctor is with another patient. He thanks her, and says, hi, Violet. He’s Dr. Finn. They shake hands. In case you didn’t guess, she’s very cute. He says he’s going to do everything he can to make her feel better.
Scotty tells the judge that he represents Elizabeth, Franco’s wife, and also represents her son, Cameron, and her other two boys, Aiden and Jake. He’s representing the whole family, but he’s also representing himself. Martin objects, and Judge Lasser tells him, there’s no need for theatrics, but urges Scotty to get to the point. Scotty says, the point is, Franco is all decked out in a uniform. This is a lie, and a delusion that he’s living.
Martin says his client has the training, will, and memories of a decorated Navy SEAL, Chief Petty Officer Andrew Cane. That’s who he is now. He’s rescued soldiers and civilians, achieving hero status. They’re here to prove that he’s more than capable of making his own decisions.
Finn asks Violet if he can take her pulse, and Epiphany tells him that Violet’s temperature is 102. Finn tells Violet that’s making her feel warm, and not so good, but they’ll get her fever down soon, and that will make her feel better. Hayden walks in, and says they’re going to make her feel better. Epiphany says Violet is a pretty name, and Finn says, a pretty name for a pretty girl. Violets are his favorite flower, and a florist told him that they represent love and faithfulness. Hayden looks a little guilty.
Monica says Danny reminds her of Jason; single-minded, confident, a risk taker. It’s probably karmic payback for the sleepless nights he gave her and Alan. Jason hopes he’s as good at parenting as they were, and Monica says they were dreadful parents. They tried to mold him into what they wanted him to be. She’s afraid they would have done the same with Drew if they’d raised him. He gets why Monica wants to know about Drew’s childhood, but doesn’t think a relationship with Franco is going to give her what she wants. She says, he isn’t Franco. He has Drew’s memories and history. Jason says he knows. He stopped by Shadybrook to see if Drew remembered something from Afghanistan. She says then Jason knows he’s not Franco. Maybe he isn’t Drew either, but that’s why she wants to go to the hearing. To speak up, so he has the right to be himself.
Carly loves the banner, and Josslyn says she had to step in and help Michael. But there’s more. Carly was so good about eating healthy, she picked up some cookies from Eckert’s. Carly says, it’s the best gift ever. Sonny tells Donna that he’s her daddy, this is her house, and this is her family. Josslyn looks at her phone, and steps away. Carly sees the cup, and says, this was for Jonah. Michael says he wanted Donna to have it. From Jonah to Donna with love. Carly hugs him, and says she loves him.
Scotty shows the judge Franco’s passport, social security card, driver’s license, and hospital ID, as well as family photos. He says Franco was just married, and having a great life, but then he sacrificed himself for his stepson. Looking at Franco, he says, Franco doesn’t need some sort of military costume. He was already a hero. Martin objects, and asks that counsel not address client. Scotty says he has a lab report on Martin’s client’s DNA. It’s Franco Baldwin’s DNA, just like his, since he’s Franco’s father. So not only is his family fighting for Franco’s life, so is he. Martin gets up and says, he’s not disputing any physical evidence. The documents are real. But while he’s sympathetic to the family’s attempt to hold on to their loved one, the simple fact is, Franco Baldwin no longer exits. Andrew Cane now inhabits this body. While there’s no ID card for that, the reality is in the courtroom. He’s not a collection of cells or DNA.The man before them is his own person. Ready, willing, and able to take charge of his own destiny.
Jordan takes the stand. Scotty asks if she recognizes the guy sitting next to Martin, and she says, absolutely. He’s Franco Baldwin. Scotty says, yet Martin says that’s not who he is. Martin says, point of clarification. He doesn’t object to who people think his client is. He only objects to them forcing his client to be who they want him to be. The judge says, noted. Scotty asks Jordan, who is Franco Baldwin? Who does she know him to be? She says the Franco she’s come to know is one of the bravest people she’s ever met. Not in a flashy, self-serving way, but with humility; a repentant man who had something to prove. Scotty asks her to elaborate, and she says he helped unmask Ryan Chamberlain, a serial killer who was terrorizing their community. He allowed himself to be wrongly identified as the killer, and almost died for his trouble. Ryan attacked, and almost killed him. Scotty asks if she’d say Franco is a hero, and she says, unquestionably. He proved it again when he sacrificed himself to save his stepson’s life. He acted selflessly at great personal risk.
Finn asks Hayden how long Violet has had a fever. Hayden says she’s not with Violet every day, but she’s pretty sure it been 48 hours. Finn needs to examine Violet, and asks Hayden to leave the room. Epiphany will be there with him. Hayden tells Violet she’ll be right outside, and the nice nurse and doctor will take good care of her. She leaves, and Finn tells Violet that he’s going to figure out how to make her feel better. Does she think she can help him? She says, yeah, and he says, awesome answer. They high-five.
Sonny says Donna is the cutest thing. Everyone takes pictures, and Michal tells Carly, Donna will have to get used to a lot of action if she’s going to hang with this family. He can’t wait for Avery to wake up from her nap. It’s all she’s been talking about. Carly says, it’s all she’s been talking about all month. She asks where Sasha is, and he says he invited her, but she thought there should be private time for the family. She can’t wait to meet Donna. Josslyn wants to journal about it, and says she’d love to get some amazing quotes from everyone on what it means to welcome a new addition to the family. Michael says he has something he has to do first. Carly asks Josslyn if the journal is for school, but Josslyn says it’s just for her. Dustin suggested it as a way to make sense of everything, and he was right. It’s a good thing, and she likes doing it. Carly says she’s happy to see Josslyn smiling again.
Jason tells Monica that they both want know about the gaps in Drew’s life. Maybe he can tell Jason something that can help Sam, but he can accomplish that without going to court for Franco. Monica says, it’s not about Franco, or who Franco was. It’s about who he is today and going forward. Maybe they can have a chance to keep part of Drew with them in the family. Jason says, he’s not Alan’s biological son. Franco is not the Drew she loved. He’s not Drew at all. He might not even be Franco anymore, and be someone new. But if she wants a relationship with him, it’s her business. She says he thinks it’s a bad idea, and he says he does. He doesn’t want her hurt more than she already has been.
Scotty tells Judge Lasser that the hero word has been bandied about, and he thinks it’s time to hear from the young man who witnessed the horror that took place when his stepfather took his place to save his life. An eyewitness to the event that compromised Franco Baldwin’s identity.
Hayden waits, and Finn lets Violet listen through his stethoscope. He tells her that’s his heart. Hers is doing the same thing. Right now it’s beating good and strong. He asks if she wants to play with the stethoscope, and she takes it. He says he knows hospitals can be a scary place, but they’re all there to make her feel at home. Epiphany says it’s her specialty. He says he’ll come back to see her soon, and calls her honeybun. I think Epiphany knows something is up. He comes out, and Hayden asks, what’s wrong with her? Finn says her fever is under control, but he has to leave the diagnosis to Dr. Navari. He’s tops in pediatrics. She asks, what about him? but he says, there are strict rules about parents treating their own children.
Avery comes downstairs, and Josslyn says Donna is sleeping, but if she’s quiet, Avery can see her. Like she told Avery, big sisters have to stick together. She brings Avery over to Donna, and Michael tells Avery to meet her baby sister. Josslyn tells Donna to meet her big sister Avery.
Danny brings Monica coffee and a pumpkin spice donut, and Monica tells him to keep the change. She asks if she’ll see him later, and he says Olivia is making lasagna. Monica says, of course (🍷) she is. She leaves, and Danny tells Jason the cupcakes are being boxed; he got one for everybody. Jason says, nice job, and Danny says he wishes he could give one to his mom. Jason says, so does he.
Scotty asks how Cameron is doing, and Cameron says, okay mostly. Scotty says, there’s no need to be nervous. Tell the court about the little conversation they had the other day. Martin asks if it was a conversation Scotty had while he was coaching Cameron. Scotty says he warned Cameron about Martin’s bag of tricks. The judge tells Martin that she already warned him about grandstanding, and he apologizes. Scotty says Cameron didn’t want his mother to marry Franco. What changed? Cameron says, Franco changed. He saw how much Franco loved his mom , and Franco proved how much he cared about his brothers. Franco always stood up for Aiden, and was there for Jake. They were super close. Scotty asks, what about him? What changed? Cameron says he changed his mind when Franco gave himself up to that freak scientist and that bastard Shiloh. Franco let them mess with his brain instead of Cameron’s. Scotty says, before they messed with Franco’s mind, what did he say? What were Franco’s last words? Cameron says Franco told him to tell his mom that he loved her, and tell her that he’d be back. Franco kept his eyes on Cameron until he couldn’t anymore. Cameron cries a little, and Scotty says he did good. Martin says he knows Cameron feels badly about his stepfather saving him. Would he do anything to make it up to his mother? Cameron says he wishes he could, and Martin says, of course (🍷) he would. He would even lie about the last words his stepfather allegedly said. Scotty objects, saying Martin is badgering. Cameron says he didn’t lie. Franco said to tell her he’d be back. Martin says what’s one more lie if it helps ease his guilty conscience. Franco stands up, and says, that’s enough.
Hayden is sure Finn has a lot of questions. He says, there will be time for that later. He’s interested in the time frame. It’s probably in the last two weeks the patient… Hayden says, she’s got a name, and he says he knows. He’s needs to know how she’s been living and who she’s come in contact with. Hayden says she’s been in Beecher’s Corners with her nanny. Does think she has what Sasha did? He doesn’t think so, since her fever is under control, but if it is contagious, they need to contact whoever she’s been around. Hayden says she’ll give him all the info. He tells her to give the info to Tiffany, and she asks him not to shut her out. He says he needs to consult with Dr. Navari, and walks away.
Avery says, Donna is so little. Carly says Donna is tough, and proved that. Sonny says Avery will have to teach Donna how to throw a ball, and ride a bike. Josslyn says, and tell her stories, and Michael adds, teach her to blow out her birthday candles. Avery says she knows how to do that. Carly has a present for Avery, and gives her a baby doll. She says Avery can take care of her own baby while Carly is taking care of Donna. Bobbie takes a family photo.
Franco appreciates what Martin is doing, but none of it should be at Cameron’s expense. He’s a good kid, and clearly loves his stepfather. He tells Cameron that he has no recollection of what Franco said, but from what the police and Cameron told him, he can say with certainty, none of this is Cameron’s fault. He sits, and Cameron holds back tears.
Elizabeth takes the stand, and Scotty ask why she’s here. Why does she want her husband committed to Shadybrook? Why does she want his memory restored? Elizabeth says she doesn’t want to be there. She doesn’t want any of this nightmare. She just wants her family back, with her husband and her boys. When she and Franco got married, she made a vow to love him in good times and bad, sickness and health. She loves him so much, she’d walk to hell and back, and she intends to keep that vow no matter what.
Martin calls Elizabeth Miss Webber again, and she says, Mrs. Webber-Baldwin. He says it’s clear she loved her husband, and still loves him, but he’s not the first man she’s loved. Scotty says, what the Sam Hill does that have to do with it? Martin says, it speaks to her intensions. She’s made a dramatic statement about standing by her man, but he’s not the first man she loved, is he?She’s fighting for his identity, which is just what she did with Drew when the two of them were engaged to be married.
Hayden watches Violet sleep. Epiphany says she’s not going anywhere, and suggests Hayden stretch her legs while she can. Hayden leaves, and finds Finn in the hallway. She gives him his stethoscope back, and starts telling Finn about Violet’s favorite stuffed toys. He asks why this is the first time he’s meeting his daughter.
Jason arrives at Sonny’s, apologizing for being late. Carly says his timing is perfect. Sonny says he just uncorked the champagne. Avery leads him to Donna, and he says she’s lucky to have a big sister like Avery. Avery says, she knows. Jason’s phone rings, and he steps aside. He says, what? and frowns at the phone. Michael asks if it’s about Sam, but he says, they want someone to testify at Franco’s medical hearing.
Scotty objects, saying they’re not here to discuss Elizabeth’s past business. Martin says she’s questioning his client’s capacity to make his own decisions, and wants to assume custody, forcing him to undergo a dangerous medical procedure. She claims she’s acting out of love for his client, but she’s done this before to someone else she claimed to love. The judge tells him, proceed. He says, she attempted to keep Drew from learning his true identity. She says, it wasn’t his true identity. Everyone thought he was Jason, but she knew he wasn’t. Martin says she knew he wasn’t Jake Doe, yes or no? and she says, yes. He says she suspected he was Jason, yes or no? and she says, yes. She withheld that information from him, yes or no? She says, yes, and he says, even though she had reason to believe he’d want to know. He had a different wife and child, but she didn’t take them into consideration. She wanted to marry Jake Doe, so she withheld information about his identity to protect herself. Yes or no? Elizabeth says, it was a mistake, and has nothing to do with Franco. Martin repeats, yes or no? and she says, yes. She withheld information. He asks if she isn’t trying to do something similar with his client. Trying to deny him his rights and identity, all in the name of love?

Stephanie and family pull up to Brandi’s house. Stephanie tells everyone to be respectful. It’s a hard day for Brian. Brian says he wasn’t going to drink, but he might have to. Everyone is dressed in black, and a small coffin is carried from the house. Brandi says, dearly beloved. They’re here to remember the life of Playboy Bun-Bun Redmond. In her interview, Brandi explains that she didn’t know if she wanted to stuff or bury Bun-Bun, and has kept her in the freezer for the last six months. She was a huge part of the family, so they need to have a proper funeral. She tells everyone to close their eyes, and imagine Bun-Bun hopping away in heaven. She thanks God for the time with Bun-Bun, and we see clips of Bun-Bun doing… whatever rabbits do, mostly hopping around. Brandi says Bun-Bun was beautiful, and she feels bad that Bun-Bun came from a pet store. She asks God to open the pearly gates, and let Bun-Bun hop into the heavenly mansion. Travis jokes to Stephanie about a bunny mansion. Afterwards, Stephanie says, it was a beautiful service. In her interview, she says, it’s ridiculous to have a funeral for a bunny. A human in a bunny costume arrives, carrying white balloons. In her interview, Stephanie wonders if she’s losing her mind. She’s risen! Everyone takes a balloon, and they let them go in honor of Bun-Bun. Well, for a bunch of pet lovers, they just killed ten dolphins.
LeeAnne’s dog Chief wears the cone of shame. In her interview, she says he scratched his eye, but they don’t know how (been there, dealt with that), and got an ulcer. She’s still dealing with Rich not having dual vison, now both of her boys have one eye. She and Rich discuss the couples shower. Since Rich has never met Kary, and they don’t know her and Eduardo as a couple, LeeAnne didn’t invite her. Both Stephanie and Brandi are coming with their husbands. LeeAnne asks Rich if he wants to be magnanimous, and give Brandi an invite to the wedding when she comes to the shower. He says he can tell her right now that he’s giving her one. Kameron stops by dressed for tennis, and fusses over Chief. She brought him some CBD treats, saying they’re the hottest thing for dogs because it calms them. In LeeAnne’s interview, she says Kameron is dealing drugs to her dog. Why not her? If Kameron is going to be a friend, be a friend. In Kameron’s interview, she says her mother-in-law Jimmy helped her plan the couples shower. She’s the queen of party planning. It’s going to top all the other parties for LeeAnne.
Stephanie tells Brandi they have to get together more. Unfortunately, the bunny funeral is a big night for them. She says she can’t go to LeeAnne’s shower because it’s the same day as a school program for one of her kids.
Kameron tells LeeAnne that Stephanie can’t make it, even though she RSVP’d yes. and turned in the menu option.
Stephanie tells Brandi that she can’t make it, but Kameron was good about it, and LeeAnne never cares about that stuff. In her interview, she says she’s celebrated LeeAnne’s wedding more than her own wedding, so she doesn’t feel too bad.
Kameron tells LeeAnne that Brandi can’t go either, and LeeAnne says she was going to give Brandi an invitation to the wedding at the shower. She can’t believe neither one of them reached out to her. Kameron says they’ll be missing four people at an intimate luncheon, and canceling at the last minute is not proper etiquette.
D’Andra visits Mama Dee. Dee asks if D’Andra has been traveling, and D’Andra says she went to Mexico with the group, and they stayed at Kary’s house. It was nice to get away from the stress at work. She tells Dee that she made the decision to move the business into the house last week. She had everything ready to make the move, but can’t get out of the lease. Dee says she’ll have to pay it off, and she still has a year. She suggests D’Andra take herself off salary; it’s draining the company. D’Andra says she can’t live without a salary. She’d have to get another job, since she doesn’t have a husband to bring it in. In D’Andra’s interview, she says she gets the message that her mother wanted her to marry a rich man, but she married for love. She doesn’t have a husband to write a check to get her out of a hot situation. She tells Dee, the immediate solution would be to take a loan. Dee says she didn’t know they gave loans to people with no money. In her interview, D’Andra says if she told her mother what she really wants to say, she’d lose everything, since she’s executor of the trust. She’s at rock bottom, and can’t afford to lose another thing. Dee says D’Andra needs to make her own way. Dee was brought up that way, and learned a long time ago to only invest in herself because she knows what she’s capable of. D’Andra ask if she isn’t an extension of Dee, and Dee says she is, but they’ve been down this road too many times. D’Andra says when she took over, the company wasn’t in a good position. Dee says D’Andra begged her for it. In Dee’s interview, she says she knew the company wasn’t at its peak, and wanted to see if D’Andra could turn it around. D’Andra says she’s trying to figure out what to do, and Dee says she’s a closer; she doesn’t make loans. If she gave D’Andra $100K, she still wouldn’t make it because of the way she spends. She always spends whatever she makes. In her interview, Dee says we all have gifts in life, and D’Andra’s best gift is asking for money. She doesn’t feel like she owes D’Andra anything. See tells D’Andra there are no handouts in this world. D’Andra says Dee raised her. She had 275 dresses and 200 pairs of shoes when she was five years old. Get real. Dee says she doesn’t know how to budget. In D’Andra’s interview, she says she only gets a small stipend of $5K a month from the trust, and she can’t live on $60K a year. Even if she wants to sell her home, she can’t. Mama Dee owns it. She tells Dee that she has a little stock left, and Dee says she knows how much D’Andra has. D’Andra says Dee shouldn’t be looking at her account. When D’Andra’s dad passed, she knew what was in the trust; now she has no idea how much is there. Dee says the conversation isn’t going anywhere. They both have their way of living, and D’Andra needs to work it out. In her interview, D’Andra says she feels a sense of betrayal, the way her mother handed over the company to her knowing it was in bad shape. The more Dee tells her that she can’t do something, the more spirit D’Andra has to prove herself right and Dee wrong. Dee says she’s been D’Andra’s bank, and she’s never been one to make loans. It’s not going to happen. I might not be on board with a lot of things D’Andra does, but I’m really starting to hate Mama Dee. D’Andra is right about the 275 dresses. She was raised this way, and now this Dee-bag handed her a failing company, not making her as aware of that as she should have, and is saying good luck with that when she’s freaking loaded. Kameron and Court go to dinner. Court asks if Kameron is ready for the shower, and wonders which couples are coming. Kameron tells him Cary and Mark, Tiffany and Aaron, and Stephanie and Brandi were supposed to come. Court tells Kameron, they’ve been married eleven years, and she’s even more beautiful now, although she’s more high maintenance. She says she wasn’t until she met him. In her interview, she says before she met Court, she was Nature Barbie, but he doesn’t camp, so she became Couture Barbie. He says he created a monster. She says she coordinated dates for the shower months ago, and Brandi’s kid suddenly has an Easter party. Stephanie also canceled with the same response. Court says, two days before? and Kameron says she has vendors and a photographer coming. Court asks how LeeAnne is taking it; she’s had a lot of parties. Kameron says, it’s tradition. She and Court had five showers, and she had a bachelorette and a lingerie shower. In her interview, Kameron says, it’s nothing. She even had a welcoming party before the rehearsal dinner, several sushi parties, and a goodbye party. We see pictures. She tells Court, they’re still celebrating
Travis gets home from work, and pours wine for himself and Stephanie. He says, tonight is special because of what happened eleven years ago. He bought her something. In her interview, she says she’s lived eleven years with him being type-A and cranky. Whatever he got her is well-deserved. Last year, she had a beautiful vow renewal, and got a diamond ring. We flash back to the vow renewal, and Brandi helping Travis pick out the ring. Stephanie opens the box, and it’s a bunch of drugstore health and beauty aids. He says it’s everything she’s wanted that she takes from him all the time, including his toothbrush. He tells her not to use his anymore (yuk!). He doesn’t like waking up to a wet toothbrush (double yuk!). Included, is a thousand dollars in a stack of five dollar bills. She says it’s the worst gift she’s ever received; it’s an a-hole present. He tells her, give the thousand back, but she says it’s the only thing she’ll enjoy. She asks how his dad is doing, and Travis says they haven’t talked in two weeks. He’s in Bangkok, and stopped taking most of his medication. Travis thinks it’s dangerous for his father to be off of them, since he has a pacemaker, stents, and Parkinson’s. In Stephanie’s interview, she says Travis’s parents got divorced years ago, and his dad has a lot of friends in Thailand. Travis can’t get ahold of him, and when he does, his dad is ill. It stresses him out. He has to go to Thailand, and bring his father back to go to the hospital. After a few months, when he’s feeling better, he goes back to Thailand. Travis says his father has always pushed the limits.
It’s pouring out the day of the couples shower. The venue looks gorgeous, gold, white, and crystal, with lots of white balloons. In her interview, Kameron says LeeAnne’s personal taste is different from hers. LeeAnne would want Cardi B singing, but she wanted LeeAnne to look back on something timeless. She says she loves a good quartet, and we see a string trio warming up. A producer points that out, and Kameron says, again? We flash back to another time when she hired a trio thinking it was a quartet. Kameron says LeeAnne is using metallic colors in her wedding, so she incorporated those in the décor. She also has a signature cocktail – the Carnie Cocktail, with cotton candy that melts in the glass. She tells Jimmy, it was obnoxious of Stephanie and Brandi to cancel at the last minute. Jimmy agrees, and says Kameron spent time, money, and energy on it. Kameron says, why do people do that? They remove the place settings for Stephanie, Travis, Brandi, and Brian. Court walks in, and says it looks great.
LeeAnne is impressed. Kameron hugs her, and Rich says it’s stunning. A dude comes up to Rich, and says, it’s really happening. Rich says, it looks like it. Tiffany says LeeAnne doesn’t have to give BJs anymore. LeeAnne says she likes that, but Rich won’t. It’s time to sit for the meal, and LeeAnne tells everyone to take note that Rich is pulling out her chair.
LeeAnne tells Kameron, the wedding won’t be this pretty. In Kameron’s interview, she says she spent a lot, but a true southern lady never drops price tags. Kameron toasts to their friendship, and says she’s glad she got to know the real LeeAnne. She’s happy LeeAnne found her Prince Charming with the happily ever after. Tiffany wishes them blessings, happiness, fun, and bliss. Steve toasts to Kameron and Court. Kameron asks if LeeAnne got a text from Cary to go out for drinks. LeeAnne says, no, and Kameron says Kary texted her, but she didn’t know who was invited. LeeAnne says she invited Kary to the wedding, and Kary can’t invite her for drinks? LeeAnne asks Cary (Lord, that Kary/Cary thing is confusing) if she got a text, and Cary says, no. Kameron says she figured they’d all got invited. She wonders who was, and Cary says, Brandi, Stephanie, and D’Andra. In LeeAnne’s interview, she says she’s shocked since she’d invited Kary to most of her parties. If Kary want’s to play favorites, don’t come to her parties. LeeAnne asks Kameron what time she’s meeting them, and where. Cary says, that’s not the way to fix it. Kameron says, 5:15, and LeeAnne says, that’s not a girls night out; it’s a geriatric dinner. Cary asks if it’s not desperate and weird looking to show up uninvited, but Kameron says it’s confronting shadiness. In Kameron’s interview, she admits it’s not proper etiquette, but she’s so annoyed that Brandi and Stephanie aren’t attending the lunch, they’re going to bust this happy hour.
The gold and white cake comes out. LeeAnne and Rich get up to cut it, and LeeAnne says she’s good with knives. Rich tells her, take it easy, and tells everyone, that’s how this happened, indicating his eye patch. In LeeAnne’s interview, she says she thinks the couples shower was beautiful, and beyond her wildest dreams. It’s the most elegant party anyone has thrown for her, and probably ever will be.
Kary gets to the bar first, and Stephanie arrives shortly after. Kary says her daughter is leaving for college. Stephanie wants her kids to all go to the same college, and she’ll buy a place nearby. Kary wants a condo that’s all hers, even their home isn’t in her name. She wants something in case anything happens. In her interview, she says she keeps telling Eduardo to put both their names on the house, or do an investment together, but he’s not willing. It’s frustrating. I think it’s sketchy. Brandi joins them. It’s a rooftop bar, and it’s very windy. Brandi is wearing pants, and Stephanie says she’s in charge of keeping their skirts down. Please tell me why they’re even out there in the wind. Brandi says she didn’t go to the shower; her kids had things going on. Stephanie asks if Brandi is going to the wedding, and Brandi says LeeAnne sent her a text invitation. In her interview, Brandi says reads from the text that she’s been formally invited, and says LeeAnne thinks she’s like Willy Wonka giving her a golden ticket. Kary says she also got a text, and Stephanie asks why she didn’t invite LeeAnne for drinks, and Kary says she feels like there’s something with her. She doesn’t know what it is. D’Andra arrives, and Brandi tells her about the text invite. In her interview, D’Andra is at a loss for words. Even for someone brought up in a carnival, it’s a stretch. Brandi says she didn’t respond. It’s not a formal invitation, and ten days before is tacky. I guess it’s okay to cancel two days before though.
LeeAnne, Cary, and Kameron ride together in a limo. Kameron says she’s all about being inclusive. LeeAnne still can’t believe Stephanie and Brandi didn’t call to tell her they weren’t coming to the shower. Kameron says, they’re not missing girls night.
D’Andra says LeeAnne has no manners. You’re supposed to send a wedding invitation six to eight weeks before the event, and you don’t send them late. Kary says LeeAnne told her 30% of the mail gets lost. In Brandi’s interview, she says, 30% of the time, LeeAnne is telling the truth. The other 80%, she’s full of it. Kameron looks at her phone, and sees that Stephanie posted a picture on Instagram of herself with her son in a dinosaur costume. In her interview, she says Stephanie said her little boy was performing in an Easter pageant. Easter and dinosaurs do not add up. Don’t post on social media and out yourself. They’re going to bust this happy hour.
They get drinks, and go out to the rooftop area. Kary is pretty startled, and Kameron says she invited them. They didn’t know about it, and she figured everyone was invited. In Kary’s interview, she says she wanted to invite fun friends, and not have any negativity. Kameron is the last person she’d expect to bring uninvited guests, since she’s so big on etiquette. For God’s sake, it’s a bar, not a sit-down dinner. LeeAnne asks if Kary is offended, and Kary says, no, but she didn’t expect them to show up and ruin girls night. Would LeeAnne like it if D’Andra showed up to her wedding uninvited? LeeAnne thinks the situation between her and D’Andra is different. And again, this is drinks in a public place, not a reception. Kary looks at Cary, and says she has no respect for them ruining girls night out, and Cary shrugs. LeeAnne says they didn’t come to ruin anything.
Kameron asks if Stephanie and Brandi even texted about not coming to the shower. Brandi says she texted Kameron, and reads the text. Kameron says she never saw it, and Brandi didn’t send it until Monday, even though she RSVP’d about her menu choice. In Brandi’s interview, she says she just thought someone was wondering which she preferred, chicken or fish. What an a-hole. Kameron asks why Stephanie said her kid was in an Easter pageant, when he was in a dinosaur costume. LeeAnne tells Kary that she didn’t come to ruin anything. In D’Andra’s interview, she says, it’s like a tennis match. She doesn’t know where to look. LeeAnne and Kary are fighting… LeeAnne says she’s not attacking anyone. Kameron and Brandi are fighting about the shower, and Kameron and Stephanie are fighting. D’Andra eats popcorn as she talks about this. She can find it ridiculous because none of it involves her. Brandi tells Kameron to think whatever she wants to. She’s going to support her child before going to a shower. LeeAnne says when she didn’t hear from them, she thought maybe she’d done something. Stephanie says she’s sorry. She just wasn’t thinking. Kameron says she and Stephanie talked about moving forward. If she’s not open and honest, Kameron doesn’t know how they can have more than a surface friendship. When she found out Brandi wasn’t attending, she knew Stephanie was next. She had to rearrange everything because of their absence. Stephanie says Kameron obviously doesn’t believe her. Kameron thinks Stephanie is using her kid as an excuse. Stephanie says, it’s not an excuse; it’s life. Kameron says Stephanie could have just said she didn’t want to come. Stephanie insists she said she didn’t know.
Kary asks why LeeAnne came, bringing this problem with her. LeeAnne says Kary claimed she didn’t know her, but if she doesn’t invite her places, she won’t. Kary says they need to figure out what they have in common, and LeeAnne says the only way to do that is to spend time together. Kary says, it was nothing personal. Oh, come on. Stephanie tells Kameron that she’s not organized, and she’s sorry. Kameron says, it was rude. In Stephanie’s interview, she says Kameron is saying she called her a surface friend, but she didn’t say that. She said they had a surface friendship. Stephanie says they’ve never had meaningful talks, and she feels like she’s being judged. Wait. Didn’t they go over all that when they went to lunch? Kameron says that’s Stephanie’s insecurity. Stephanie whines that Kameron never asks how she’s doing; it’s always all about her. Kameron says Stephanie is always the victim, and Stephanie says Kameron is full of it. In Kameron’s interview, she says Stephanie is taking no ownership. Sorry, but she’s extremely offended. Stephanie needs to put in some effort. If she doesn’t, it will always be a surface relationship. In Stephanie’s interview, she says she doesn’t want spend precious hours fighting with Kameron. She’s getting off the Kameron hamster wheel. She’s done with this conversation.

Jason sees Doc and Laura at the MetroCourt. He says he needs Doc’s help, and asks if Doc can get him in to see Ryan.
At another table, Finn is on the phone. He asks if he and Hayden are still on for breakfast. Hayden says she’s going to check on Elizabeth, and head over. He says he’s looking forward to it. Robert comes by, and says that’s mighty cosmopolitan of Finn. Finn asks how? and Robert says Finn has his ex in town to keep him warm, while his fiancé off doing something. Who said you can’t have your cake and eat it too?
After a restless night, Ava gets up and drinks a glass of water. She hears the front door knob jiggle. The door opens, but the chain is on it. Ava gets her gun.
At the high school, Josslyn says they’re counting on Dustin to be a chaperone at the Halloween dance. He says he’s sure they have some ideas, and Trina gives him several teacher’s names. He says he senses a pattern. Can’t they think of a faculty member not born in the 1980s? Josslyn says it will be embarrassing to see them dancing to Donna Summer. Dustin says maybe the chaperones will be happy dancing to Donna Summer, and they can learn a little about pop history. Cameron walks in wearing a suit, and Dustin asks, what’s the occasion? Trina says, it’s his court outfit, and Josslyn asks if it has something to do with his community service. Trina says, Franco’s hearing is today, and Cameron says he’s going to see if he can save Franco instead of Franco saving him.
At the hospital, Elizabeth tells Hayden that she’s meeting Scotty at Kelly’s to firm up their strategy. Hayden asks how she’s doing, and Elizabeth says she’s going to court to fight for a husband whose memory was taken, and he thinks he’s someone else. It’s like that. They hug, and Hayden says, Franco’s lawyer has no idea what he’s up against.
Martin goes to Franco’s room, carrying a garment bag. Franco asks if he brought a suit, and Martin says, better. He shows Franco (we don’t see it), and Franco says, wow. Even he’s impressed by himself. Martin says if they’re going to battle, he’d better be dressed for it. Ooh. I’ll bet it’s his Navy blues.
Julian tells Ava, open up, and she lets him in. She says he scared the hell out of her. He says, bringing her breakfast? What was she planning on doing? Shooting first, and asking questions later? He takes the gun from her, and she says he can’t blame her for taking precautions. He says she’s got the door locked, bolted, and chained; she’s got the windows locked and covered; and all kinds of security cameras and alarms. For a guy who’s currently incarcerated in a secure facility. Ava says he’s watching her. She can feel it. Julian sees she’s been drinking, and tells her, don’t get mad, but is it possible her paranoia is fueled by drinking? She says, if anything, drinking is the only thing helping her. She knows he doesn’t believe it, but she can feel Ryan’s breath on her neck like he’s standing next to her. He’s watching… always watching.
Jason tells Doc that he went to visit Brice, and he was ready to name the person who paid him to frame Sam. Laura says, but he was killed first. Jason nods, and says now he doesn’t have enough to clear Sam, and he wants to find out if Brice mentioned the name to Ryan. Doc tells him that he’s wasting his time. He’d be better off calling Brice’s attorney. Jason says he reached out, but now that Brice is dead, the lawyer has no incentive to return his call. Ryan is in solitary, and the warden won’t let him have access. Laura is surprised he’d take Ryan’s word on anything, and Jason says he has a theory, and Brice confirmed it. Laura asks who it is, but Jason says he needs more proof. It would help if he could find out what Ryan knows. Laura says she can’t promise anything, but she can put in a word. Doc says his brother doesn’t help people. He likes to watch them chase their tails. He’ll negotiate and stall, hoping they come back to confront him. Jason would be better off going elsewhere. Jason thanks Doc for his advice, and says he needs to follow up on every lead. Laura says she’ll call him if she hears anything.
Robert sits down, and signals the waitress for coffee. Finn tells him not to make himself comfortable. He’s not staying. Robert asks if Finn doesn’t want a witness to his brekkie with Hayden. Finn says there’s nothing to worry about, and Robert says, the first thing you learn in the spy game is how to spot a lie. Finn reeks of it.
At the hospital, Hayden runs into Curtis. She asks if everything is okay, and he says he’s there for a case. She asks if it’s a good one, or can’t he talk about it? He says since he’s also kind of a client, he can. He’s there for backup on Sasha’s DNA test. She asks why he’s a client, and he says he had Sasha take not one, but two DNA tests, to confirm she was Nina’s daughter. He doesn’t take kindly to being used to hurt a friend or by a friend. She says he’s a great friend. He deserves to be treated like one. Curtis is glad she feels that way, and tells her that he’s a good listener. If she has anything on her mind…
Elizabeth walks into Kelly’s, where Scotty is scarfing pancakes. He offers to order her a stack, saying, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. She says she can’t eat when her stomach is in a knot. Scotty asks the waitress for coffee, telling Elizabeth, caffeine is good. She says she was up all night, going over everything. Scotty asks, what for? What is she looking for? She says the one thing they missed. The one thing that could make the difference between saving Franco and losing him.
Doc asks if Laura is really going to call the warden. Laura says Jason stopped Ryan from dragging Ava over the bridge in Canada. It’s the least she could do. She tells Doc that she’s dreading the hearing. Poor Elizabeth, and the boys. They love him. Aiden and Jake are waiting for hm to come home, and Cameron is determined to repay Franco for saving his life. She asks if Franco was rational when Doc saw him, and Doc says he can tell her what she already knows. For all intents and purposes, Franco presents a man who believes he’s Drew Cane.
I was right. Franco is dressed in his Navy blues with decorations. Martin asks how he feels, and Franco says, like himself, Chief Andrew Cane. Martin tells him, move around and get used to them. He’s going to do some last minute preparation. Franco asks if that means Martin isn’t properly prepared. Martin says there’s always last minute preparation. Opposing counsel will use his appearance to show he’s incompetent, and unable to recognize himself, which means he’s incapable of acting in his own behalf. It’s Franco’s job to prove otherwise. Martin tells him to keep asking who Drew Cane is, and how he knows who he is. Answer honestly, and even Scott Baldwin will have a hard time proving he’s not who he is. Franco says, Chief Petty Officer, Andrew Cane.
Josslyn thanks Dustin, and says, the journaling helps. It turns out she had a lot bottled up. It felt good to let it out. He’s glad the process is working for her, and asks how much time she spends on it. She says, a couple hours a day, maybe more, maybe less. He says, that’s a lot, and she asks if there’s such a thing as too much. He says, not necessarily, but as gratifying as it is to get it on paper, it’s not a substitute for real friends.
Sitting nearby, Cameron tells Trina that he was a jerk to Franco. Trina says, if he’s unnecessarily torturing himself, she wants in. In the beginning, Franco was unfair about how Cameron related to his brothers. Cameron says Franco apologized, and she says, that’s all anyone can do. He thanks her, and she says she’s not done. When Franco does come back, he’s going to want to make up for lost time. Cameron says, that he will, and he can’t wait.
Finn says it’s been swell talking to Robert, but he generally doesn’t spend time with people who call him a liar to his face. Robert says Anna is on a mission and Finn is playing house with his ex. Finn says he and Anna talk every day, especially after what happened last time when he was texting with imposters. Robert says he was there. He tolerates Finn because Anna loves him, but his tolerance disappears when Finn goes behind her back. Finn says he wouldn’t tolerate that either. That’s why he texted Anna this morning, and said he was having breakfast with Hayden to sort out a few things. Robert asks what Anna said, and Finn says he hasn’t heard back yet. She’s busy with the aforementioned mission. Robert says he believes Finn. Finn says, thanks, but Robert adds, to a point. He thinks Finn is lying about something. Not about Anna, but Hayden.
Finn says Robert is the mother of Anna’s child, so he humors him, but Robert needs to get off his back. Hayden has no connection to him. Whatever is going on, it’s none of Robert’s business. Robert says something is going on between Finn and Hayden. Finn says he loves Anna. Good. Don’t let anything get in the way of that. He thanks Finn for the coffee, and leaves.
Hayden says there’s nothing she needs to talk through at the moment, and tells Curtis to stay focused on their other project. She has to run; Finn invited her to breakfast. Curtis asks if Finn said why, but Hayden says he didn’t mention any particulars. Does he know something she doesn’t? Curtis says Finn didn’t say anything to him, but they have a history, Hayden says, they do. She’ll let him know if she needs to unburden herself of anything after breakfast. He says he’ll catch her later.
Laura tells Doc that when he was speaking with Jason, it was the most grounded she’s seen him talking about his brother. Doc says he’s working on it. She wishes Ava would. It sounds like she’s unraveling. Ryan has been writing her letters, and she decided to take them back to return them. Doc says, she only made it worse. Laura says, Ava seems to think people are watching her constantly, and Doc says, it’s not uncommon in victims of PTSD. She asks if he thinks that’s what Ava has, and he says he can’t be certain, but it’s likely. When he thinks about the terrible things Ryan did to him – and he does think about them – he doesn’t think Ryan is going to give up on loving Ava until he destroys her.
Julian puts Ava’s gun away. He thought she was doing better, but clearly, she’s not. Ava says it’s her home. If she wants to cover the windows she will, and it’s safer that way. He says she has the right to be upset, but holing up in the dark, drinking herself into oblivion, and imagining shadows? She’s better than this; stronger than this. He tells her not to let Ryan defeat her like this. Maybe she should go back to the hospital. She says she’s not the one who can’t face reality. It’s him, and every other person who insists the world is a safe place.
Elizabeth tells Scotty, for two people who just want a simple life together, she and Franco have faced some challenges, but through it all, there’s love. Scotty says they definitely love each other. She says it’s come down to this, the two most important days in their lives. The day they got married with jail cell bars between them, and today, when a judge decides if they’ll be kept apart. Scotty says, at the wedding reception, Bobbie was pressing him to make a toast, but Obrecht fell into the drink and goofed everything up. He was saving it for their 1st anniversary, but he thinks she needs to hear what he had to say now.
Jason visits Franco, and asks if he has a minute. Franco says he does, unless Jason is there to convince him not to undergo the procedure. Jason says he’s there to ask him if he remembers something. Franco says, as Franco? but Jason says, it’s something Drew Cane might remember.
Trina tells Cameron she doesn’t know why Cameron doesn’t like a certain teacher for chaperone. He says they’ll be dancing to rock dirges. Josslyn asks Dustin if that’s not the point of journaling. She doesn’t want to censure what she says or feel like she’s expected to feel a certain way. He asks if she feels she has to do that with her friends, and she says, doesn’t everyone act differently around different friends? He says she’s right, and it is important to have a safe, private place to be yourself.
Trina can’t believe Cameron used the word dirge, and asks if he even knows what it means. He says the Halloween dance will turn into a bubblegum pop nightmare. Dustin tells Josslyn, it’s important to spend time with people who care, and she says she sees them at school. He says, what about after? and she admits maybe she has been spending less time with them. He tells her it’s a trade-off. If she spends more time with them, she’ll have more to write about. She guesses he’s right.
Scotty tells Elizabeth, marriage is not for the faint of heart. She and Franco have had so many obstacles and tragedies to get where they are. He calls it love, but that’s not giving it justice. Everyone should be so lucky to approach love the way they do with tenacity and faith.
Jason tells Franco that Brice broke Shiloh out of custody, and Sam killed Shiloh defending him. That should have been the end, but Brice ID’d Sam as his employer. Franco says, and that’s not true, and Jason says, the Feds think it is though. They’re saying she got Shiloh free so she could kill him, and they’re charging her with murder. Jason says that’s why he’s there. Andre ID’d his attacker as Brice. Whoever Brice is working for, wanted Andre dead. Franco says, before Andre could help restore his memory. Jason says Brice’s employer might have also arranged Drew’s plane crash, and Franco asks if he thinks they’re all connected. Jason thinks he knows how they tie together, and Franco might be able to confirm it. He shows Franco a picture of Peter, and asks if he recognizes this guy.
Ava tells Julian, stop hovering; she’s fine. Doc knocks at the door, and Ava says, they have the same voice. Doc shows proof of ID by showing her both hands. Julian never thought he’d say this, but thank God Doc is there. Ava asks if her brother asked Doc to come over, and Doc says, no. Laura thought it would be a good idea to talk to her. Ava says tell Laura thank you, and adds it was less complicated when Laura hated her. Doc asks how she’s doing, and Ava say she’s perfectly fine. She was just telling Julian that she’s not interested in psychiatric care, but he says he’s not there as a shrink. He’s there as a survivor. Julian thinks they have a lot to discuss, and says he’ll give them some privacy. He can be back in a flash if Ava needs him, but she doesn’t think it will be necessary. Julian leaves, and Doc says, so about Ryan…
Martin goes to Kelly’s for take-out coffee. I only include this because I note the to-go cup is a camouflage design, and wonder if that’s on purpose. He approaches Elizabeth, and says he realizes the difficult situation she and her family are in. Scotty asks if Martin doesn’t realizes that he shouldn’t be talking to his client. Martin says his client bears no ill will, and wishes he could spare her any pain. Elizabeth says if that was true, he wouldn’t be representing Franco at all. Scotty says, what’s that he hears? An ambulance? He tells Martin, go catch it, and I almost fall off my chair laughing. Elizabeth says she’ll see him in court, and Martin says, indeed she shall.
Robert sees Laura, and she invites him to join her. She asks how he is. She thought she’d see more of him now that he’s working downtown, not less. Robert says, the law is a relentless taskmaster. She asks how the transition is going, and he says he gets to work with his baby brother, and other dear friends. However, should he ever choose to settle down, Port Charles is in the list of the top 100 places he wants to do it. She laughs.
Finn checks his phone, but still nothing from Anna. He texts Hayden, asking if he can order her coffee the way she likes it. She smiles, and is about to text back, but the phone rings. She asks, what’s up? She says, oh my God, and jets.
Doc tells Ava that Ryan is 100% locked up, but she’s dealing with the ramifications. They can manifest in a number of ways. PTSD can last a long time, sometimes a lifetime. You can’t turn off the fear, but have to face it.Fight without feeding into it. She says, Julian suggested the same thing. Is he sure they’re not in cahoots? He laughs, and says, no. The art world, she loves it It’s not just a front. She says she does, a lot; the spirit and imagination it takes to create. The money is good too, don’t get her wrong. He says, there are a lot of ways to make money. Why did she choose art? She says it speaks to her. It gives her a purpose. He tells her, choose that purpose, the sense of fulfillment when the darkness is chasing her. What Ryan did to her, and for her, isn’t going anywhere, but moving past it and severing every tie, can. That’s the road to freedom.
Laura asks when was the last time Robert stayed anywhere long enough to put down roots. Or maybe found the right person to settle down with. She asks if he’s thinking of running for office, and he says he is. She says they last she checked, he’d be running uncontested. He says, no one wants to be DA where Sonny operates. She’s glad Robert isn’t one to back down. She asks if he won’t make his temporary job permanent. The single ladies of Port Charles are dying to know. He says when she puts it like that, how can he say no?
At the MetroCourt, Curtis tells Finn that he ran into Hayden, and she told him that she was meeting Finn there for breakfast. Finn says she never showed, and Curtis says that might be his fault. Finn asks what Curtis did, and he says when they met, his poker face left the building. He might have tipped her off that something’s up. Finn says, but he wasn’t specific? Finn’s phone rings, and he says, uh-huh. He sees. He tells Curtis, he has to go. If Curtis sees Hayden, make sure she doesn’t skip town.
Doc tells Ava that the process won’t come quickly or easily, but the moment she stops looking over her shoulder, she’ll be free. Ava says, in her experience, that’s the moment Ryan shows up with a butcher knife. Doc says, the last time, Ava stuck it in his back. Ava says that was quite a motivational speech he’s got going on, and he says, Ryan is stuck where he is. Not just physically. He’ll never change or evolve, but if she moves forward with her life, Ryan will never catch up. She says, good point he’s making. He asks if she’s saying he’s right, and she tells him that she’s saying she’s late for work. She’s going to get dressed and go to the gallery. Doc says, baby steps. Don’t expect too much too soon. She says she hates half-measures, but she’ll try. She tells him to thank Laura for her, but do her a favor, and make it sound like it was hard for her to say. She doesn’t want Laura to thinks she’s gone softer than she has. He leaves, and she puts the vodka and martini glass away. Looking at herself in the mirror, she says, you didn’t beat me, Ryan, and you never will. Ava Jerome is very much alive.
Franco tells Jason that he knows this guy. He bought Franco a beer at The Floating Rib. Jason says, this was before, but not in Port Charles. Before that. Franco asks what his name is, and Jason says, Peter August. Franco says, when he saw Peter, he was just out of the hospital. He had a feeling that was less of a memory, and more like déjà vu. Jason asks if Franco has any idea where he saw Peter before.
Julian comes into Kelly’s as Elizabeth and Scotty are leaving. Scotty says there’s some dry toast left if Julian would like it. Julian says, Franco’s hearing is today. How is Elizabeth holding up? Scotty says, solid as a rock. Elizabeth says Julian should know that after she spoke to him, she saw Kim. She tried to reason with her, but Kim insisted on testifying that Franco is now Drew. Julian says he thought she might, and Elizabeth says she knows what it’s like to lose a child. As much as she understands, and doesn’t want to hurt Kim, Scotty is going to do everything to discredit her. Scotty says, to save his son, and Julian says he’d do the same for his kids or a person he loved. Kim needs help, and she’ll never get it. He tells Elizabeth, do what she needs to. She has his blessings. He starts to leave, but says, since they’re talking, there’s something he needs to tell them about Kim.
Laura goes to Dustin’s classroom, and he assumes she’s there to pick up Cameron. She says he could use some support, and he says to give Elizabeth his best. If there’s anything they can do at the school, let him know. She tells Cameron, it’s time to go, and he says, here goes everything. Trina says she’ll call later, and pokes Josslyn, who isn’t paying attention. Josslyn tells him, good luck in court, and he leaves with Laura. Trina asks Josslyn what’s up with her, and Josslyn says, what? She wished Cameron good luck. Trina tells her, that’s all she said. She’s completely checked out, and needs to get over herself after all Cameron did for her and Oscar. The road doesn’t only go one way. Trina leaves, and Josslyn ponders this.
Ava’s windows are now uncovered. She goes out on the terrace, and looks around. She says, here I am, you son of a bitch. Come and get me.
Julian picks up his take-out, and Elizabeth says she can’t imagine it’s easy for him. She thanks him, and he says he just wants Kim to get the help she needs. Elizabeth sees how much Julian still loves Kim, and says she’s sorry Kim isn’t in a place to return the feelings. He says, him too, and she watches him leave.
Franco tells Jason that he feels like he should remember, but sorry, he doesn’t. Jason thanks him for trying. Martin asks if he’s interrupting, and Jason says he was just leaving. Martin asks if that wasn’t Franco’s twin, and Franco says Jason is his brother, but he doubts very much that Jason considers them twins. Martin asks why Jason was there, and Franco says Jason wanted help with him remembering something. Martin asks if he wanted Franco’s help or Drew’s help, and Franco says, his; Drew’s. Martin says, interesting
Scotty tells Elizabeth that he’s feeling good about their chances. She asks if it’s because of what Julian said, and he says he thinks Julian might have just handed them a win.
Finn races to the hospital. He sees Hayden, but says he can’t talk. He has a very sick patient. Hayden says his patient is her daughter.
Tomorrow, Carly says she’s never been more prepared to face the unknown. Elizabeth tells Kim that she wishes there were another way, and Martin tells the court that Franco Baldwin no longer exists.
The Real Housewives of Orange County
Kelly and Braunwyn ride electric bikes. Riding bikes is Kelly and Jolie’s jam, and Kelly is thinking of getting a bike for Brian, now that he’s part of the family. It’s her and Jolie’s fun as a family. She and Braunwyn ride on a tandem bike, with Braunwyn in the back. In her interview, Kelly says she knows they have assistance, but you still have to pedal a little bit. They turn a corner, Braunwyn screams, and a car horn blares. In Kelly’s interview, she says she wants to get Brian a bike for his birthday, but didn’t know she’d almost die in the process. If that doesn’t show love and commitment, what does? They go into the bike store, and Kelly checks one out. Owner/founder Don tells her that it’s $12,000. How can you put a price on fun? Kelly says she can, and he says it’s really $4,400. Braunwyn tells Kelly about her sister coming in for fashion week, and Kelly says she’ll be there. Braunwyn is excited for Rowan. It’s an amazing opportunity that not many people get. If she can knock this out of the park, there’s no telling where she can go. In her interview, Kelly says she likes Braunwyn. She’s a ride or die kind of chick, like her. Kelly is loyal, and when people are loyal to her, they have a friend for life. She appreciates Braunwyn being the same way with her. Braunwyn screams some more on the way back.
Tamra and Ryan go to a laser specialist. Ryan is wearing an American flag shirt and hat, and Tamra finds it comical. She asks when he became so patriotic, and Ryan says, America is always in style. In her interview, Tamra says she never liked Trump as a person, and doesn’t like a lot of the things he does, but she can’t judge her son by his love of Trump. She asks why Ryan got the tattoo he’s having removed; a dollar sign behind his ear. Ryan doesn’t know; money on his mind? He was going through a phase. The older he gets, he wants them covered. In Tamra’s interview, she says she told him this day would come, and he would regret some of the tattoos. She doesn’t know why kids can’t listen to their mothers. The doctor does a laser treatment that doesn’t take much time. Tamra asks if Ryan is okay, and he says his life is up and down. In his interview, Ryan says he never got the building blocks for life. No one set him up for the future. Tamra says she doesn’t want him to end up like she did. It took her a long time to deal with her feelings. In Tamra’s interview, she says she thinks Ryan wanting to remove the tattoos is a sign of growth, but he needs help. She tells him that he has to put himself out there a little, and he says when he’s ready, he will.
Gina thinks it’s time for a change, and stylist Andrea works on Gina’s hair. Andrea says it’s a new phase, and Gina will be ready for Dr. Hottie. Gina tells Andrea that he slid into her DMs. In Gina’s interview, she says it makes her laugh. She’s horrified that she responded, but she’s had a rough year. She needs a date. She tells Andrea that dating is against the rules when you’re married. Someone should have told Matt. In her interview, she says Dr. Hottie is a brain surgeon. He’s smart, witty, and not Matt. He’s good for her right now. Andrea asks if she’s telling Matt, but Gina says he doesn’t know. He’ll be upset, since he wants to get back together. In Gina’s interview, she says she suggested he see a therapist. She’s stuck her toe into the dating world, and wants to explore more. When Andrea finishes, Gina is platinum blonde with very straight hair. I’m not loving it, but she thinks it’s pretty, and that’s what matters.
At Braunwyn’s house, champagne is popped open. In her interview, Braunwyn says, the family supports each other’s highs and lows, and it’s a high today. She’s glad everyone is there. Rowan has been working hard for years on her fashion line, and it’s a big deal. She thanks everyone for flying in from all over the country. She toasts to the coolest effing family ever.
Shannon has her hair and makeup done at home. She thinks Adeline should practice walking; she’s never walked in anything before. She tells the makeup guy that Adeline used to put on her heels when she was still in diapers, and he says, she was made for this. Shannon tells Adeline, more hips. In Shannon’s interview, she says if her kids want to accomplish something, she’s going to help them. Her mother wasn’t hard on her, so she was hard on herself. She was a self-starter, and wants the same for her own children.
Braunwyn gets ready for the fashion show. In her interview, she says she loves fashion. Some of her clothes are cutting edge, but she dresses for herself. Tonight, her look is like a high end big bird. I’d say more Swan Lake. Her skirt is made of white feathers, and the top of the dress is sheer with pearls in strategic places, as well as scattered in a random pattern. In her interview, Braunwyn says she had no clue how depressed Rowan was. OCD manifests in different ways. Dancing put Rowan’s body under a microscope, and she’s either all in or out, so she decided not to eat. She tells Sean that she’d never been so afraid. Sean says when the kids are doing well, he puts more pressure on them. Life is full of ups and failures. Rowan comes in, and Braunwyn says they were talking about how far she’s come. She asks what the hardest part was, and Rowan says losing the part of herself that took so long to come back. Sean says, it’s a big deal. Rowan is dressed in black, and says she and Braunwyn look like an angel and devil. In his interview, Sean thinks this epitomizes their daughter’s success emotionally.
Shannon wants Adeline to practice her runway walk before the show. Rowan is excited, but nervous, and Braunwyn says she’s going to be taking five zillion photos. The look at the pieces in Rowan’s collection, and Braunwyn says they’re mommy approved. Shannon sits with Sophie, and they watch Adeline practice walk. Sophie says, she’s so good, but Shannon isn’t happy, and tells her, get it down. She barks orders at Adeline, telling her to stop smiling, and pop her hip. In Sophie’s interview, she says she thinks Adeline is killing it, and if her mother doesn’t shut her mouth, Sophie is going to shut it for her. Shannon tells Adeline, too fast, and Adeline tells her to stop screaming at her. Shannon says she’s Adeline’s momager, and Adeline needs more pop. Adeline goofs around, making exaggerated moves.
Everyone starts arriving, and it gets crowded pretty fast. Eddie asks Braunwyn if she and Tamra made out. Braunwyn asks him to define making out, and he asks if there was tongue. We flash back to that, and Braunwyn makes a sign indicating a little. I’d hate to see what she considers big. Eddie asks if he can watch, and she says, anytime. Sean explains how the show works, and that they’ll be going to different levels. Dr. Deb asks if Rowan is nervous, and he says, Rowan is so excited, she’s on a high. He’s more nervous than she is. Braunwyn says, Adeline is the youngest model, and Rowan is the youngest designer. Gina shows up, and Braunwyn says she didn’t recognize her. Gina tells Kelly that she needed a change. In her interview, Kelly says, when you’re going through a divorce, ladies, don’t change your hair. Because of low self-esteem, you try to make yourself feel better, and end up making yourself look ugly. Case in point – Gina. I guess I’m not the only one who’s not a fan of Gina’s new ‘do. I’m really not liking her whole look. Dr. Deb suggests Adderall, and Gina says she’ll take anything Deb’s got.
President of OC fashion week, Kathy, gives instructions to everyone. Braunwyn shows the others the row reserved for them. Gina tells Emily that Matt now claims to be heartbroken, and is calling her selfish because she doesn’t want to try again. Emily says she understands as a mother, but if it happens, it should be something that happens down the road. In Emily’s interview, she says, Matt is messing with Gina’s emotions. Emily doesn’t want her to get in a place where she’s not happy and healthy. She tells Gina that Matt was involved with someone else for a long time. It’s not like he met her a couple of weeks ago. Gina says he wants to sweep it under the rug, like everything else.
The show is starting, and everyone moves upstairs for the finale walk. Co-host Crystal tells Braunwyn they can be seated early. Deb needs to use the bathroom, and a security guy grabs her arm, and asks where she’s going. She tells him not to touch her, and the dude argues with her. She tells him, don’t grab her, and don’t disrespect his elders. I’m surprised he didn’t think she was Betsey Johnson. It’s a fashion show for God’s sake. He continues to be stupid, and Kelly’s business partner, Zack, intervenes. Deb tells Kathy what’s going on, and these people must have taken idiot pills because Kathy gets snarky with her. She says, they don’t know who you are, sweetheart. Deb tells Kathy, don’t call her sweetheart. In her interview, Deb says what Kathy meant was bitch. Deb tells Braunwyn about the dude grabbing her on her way to the bathroom, and says then Kathy came after her. Braunwyn asks if Kathy apologized, but Deb says, no, and Braunwyn stomps off to find Kathy. She tells Kathy to apologize, saying, if she doesn’t, it’s going to be a bad night. Kathy tells her to have Deb talk to her, and then she’ll apologize. Braunwyn says, don’t screw up her daughter’s night by attacking her mother. Kathy thinks they don’t have clear communication, and that’s how mistakes get made. She starts getting loud, saying they need to know in advance who’s there. She gets so loud, her voice starts getting squeaky. Kelly comes over and asks why there’s yelling. Kathy says she can be as loud as she wants to. Kelly says Kathy is working, and to be professional. Kathy talks into the mic, saying that she’s working, and can be as loud as she wants, then shoves the mic into Kelly and Braunwyn’s faces. I don’t even know what to think. Is this woman high? Kelly calls her a psycho and a dumbass. Kathy says, defamation, and bumps Kelly’s mouth when putting the mic back in her face. In Braunwyn’s interview, she says she thought it was some kind of misunderstanding. She had no idea this woman would go off the rails. She tells Sean that if she had her way, she’d be in jail, because she’d throw Kathy off the boat. Kelly says Kathy hit her in the face with the mic. Her kneejerk reaction was to slap the sh*t out of her, but there are children around. Kathy says, bitch, as she walks past Kelly, and Kelly says Kathy hit her in the face. Kathy wanders around, talking into the mic, saying she’s sick and tired of things not being true. Braunwyn says, this is why they can’t have nice things. Continuing to speak into the mic, Kathy says starts yapping about one of the designers working against bullying. She says if anyone has ever been abused, they can put hashtag anti-bully on their Instagram feed. Kelly says, hashtag assault, and Kathy says, some people laugh, and make a mockery of it. If anyone has been a witness to verbal abuse, put hashtag anti-bully. Co-host Crystal grabs a mic, and asks if they shouldn’t get to the collection. Everyone applauds, and the first line come out. She introduces Rowan’s line, and everyone cheers. The models walk, and Rowan looks thrilled. The only thing I can figure is, this is a two-bit operation run by wannabes. Not to minimize Rowan’s success, but who ever heard of OC fashion week anyway? It’s a testament to Kelly that she didn’t cause a commotion. She had every right to. There could have possibly been a touch of jealousy on Kathy’s part too, since Braunwyn and family all look fabulous, and she… well, not even close.
Adeline comes out next, and Sophie says she’s going to cry. In Shannon’s interview, she says, watching Adeline walk, stop, and own it, it’s like seeing a different child. Proud doesn’t even describe how she feels. Adeline nailed it. Bam! They walk out together. In her interview, Rowan says it’s the proudest moment of her entire life. Braunwyn says Rowan put her mind to it, and did it. She got lots of congratulations after such a great job. Emily says she gives credit to a sixteen-year-old who not only has a vision, but executes it.
Braunwyn and family get in their limo. Braunwyn tells them about Kathy wanting to fight, and says she tried to kick them off the boat. Rowan is shocked, and Braunwyn says, you don’t mess with her kids. That’s the only thing, and it’s her trigger. Don’t f**k with her family. She repeats that several times. In her interview, she says she didn’t have that kind of protection growing up. There was no one who came to her rescue. She tells them she’s glad she has them all, and says, team Wyndham-Burke!
Emily meets Braunwyn for horseback riding. She tells Braunwyn that she’s been around horses her whole life. Her mother owned a breeding business, and riding as a calming effect. She wants to get back into it. They saunter down a path through the woods, with trainer Brenda in the lead. Emily thinks Annabelle would like riding and they could bond. Braunwyn says it was dance for her and Rowan. Whatever dreams her children have, she supports them. She didn’t have that as a kid. Emily says she didn’t either. She likes that Annabelle is close to Shane. In her interview, Emily says, not having a dad in her life, made her achieve things, so she didn’t have to depend on a man. Braunwyn says they both picked amazing fathers, and Emily says she’s proud of herself. Braunwyn can’t imagine a father figure. In Braunwyn’s interview, she says her father was a bigwig surfer in Hawaii, and a functional alcoholic. Her mom was angry, and made it harder for him to be in her life. As she got older, she realized it’s not okay. Emily says she had a dad, and knew who he was, but her parents divorced when she was six. They talked every six months or so, but there was no father/daughter connection, and she grew up angry. She knows she has anger issues and she’s reactive. She always goes to anger. Braunwyn says her issues are more about abandonment, and doesn’t let people get too close. It took fifteen years for her to let Sean love her, but she knew when she met him that he’d be an amazing dad. Emily says she gave her kids a dad who adores them and is there for them. In her interview, she says, is Shane a good husband? Sometimes. But she puts the needs of her children before her own needs, and she’s okay with that.
Gina uses a curling iron on her hair, while she FaceTimes with Tamra. She says she’s doing all this for therapy with her ex. In Gina’s interview, she says she and Matt are going to therapy for co-parenting. They have a lot of issues, and it’s better to discuss them in a safe environment, so they don’t fight and work it out. She tells Tamra that she wants to look super-hot, but not too hot. She doesn’t want to invite that in. Matt texted her a million times, and then she got snarky and blocked him. Then he called 12,000 times from another number. When she didn’t pick up, he came to the house. Tamra says, unannounced? and Gina says, at 1 am. Tamra says, she didn’t answer, did she? and Gina says she hadn’t locked the door. She was on the phone with Dr. Hottie, and Matt came upstairs. She didn’t know he was in the house, and it was scary. In Tamra’s interview, she says, it’s beyond comprehendible. Gina tells her that Matt said he’s looking for a job in OC. Tamra asks if Matt gets his sh*t together, would Gina attempt to try again? and Gina says she’s not there at all, but doesn’t want regrets because of her kids. Tamra says it will screw with her head. Gina thinks they’ll find out that they’re not supposed to be together, but in an amicable way. Tamra says the ball is in Gina’s court, and Gina says that makes her stressed. Tamra says Gina didn’t do this, Matt did. In Gina’s interview, she says it’s alarming that Matt walked in, but to be honest, it feels good that he cares about her. Her heart wants it, but her brain says don’t fall for the romance novel situation. She thinks she’ll ultimately regret it if she doesn’t follow her heart, even if it’s not the smartest move.
Ryan and Tamra meet for coffee. She asks what he’s been doing, and he says, a whole lot of nothing. In Tamra’s interview, she says she’s worried about Ryan, and wants him to know she’s there. She asks if he’s dating anyone, but he says he’s been secluding himself. He doesn’t want to do anything, and doesn’t find interest in anything. He has zero feeling. Tamra asks what he thinks will make him happy. He says he’s not playing the victim role, but some people had better opportunities to springboard off of. Growing up, his priorities were different because of the situation. Tamra asks if he means Simon. He says when other people were wondering which college to go to, he just wanted out of there. In his interview, he says he was a trial run. No one prepped him for life as an adult. At age eighteen, that was it. We flash back to the Simon days, and Simon telling Ryan those are the rules, and the rules are based on his past. Ryan tells us that they made their mistakes with him, and everyone else got the good stuff. Tamra asks if he got her email, and he says he didn’t read it yet. She says she sent him info about Dr. Machala. If it makes him more comfortable, they can call her a life coach. Ryan says he’s not unhappy, just in a funk. She says it’s hard to see him like this. In her interview, Tamra says, this is really serious, and she’s scared for him. She’s afraid something bad will happen, and this is her last ditch effort to get him to see a professional therapist. She tells Ryan that he’s treading water, and barely staying afloat. It’s no way of life. He says he’s down to talk. Maybe she’ll open his eyes to something he’s not seeing. She tells him to just be as honest as he can, and he says he’s always honest.
Next time, Gina hooks up with someone, Vicki has a tea party, and Gina tells Braunwyn that it’s not about her.
If you haven’t seen it yet, new Bravo series, In a Man’s World, is excellent. Each week, a woman is made up as a man, and sets out to prove gender bias in a different situation. And when I say they’re made up, I mean by professionals, and they’re also coached on movement and voice. There’s no way you’d know it was the same person. So far, they’ve presented Le’Dor, running for city council; Sabrina, who wants to preach from a pulpit; and Shital, who’s Indian culture has caused her own father to treat her like a second class citizen. In Le’Dor’s case, being a mom seemed to work against her, but as a man, having a family was a plus. With Sabrina, it took longer for a congregation to warm up to her as a woman, but she got a better result from the collection basket at the end, which she attributed to her anointing. Shital compared her own birthday dinner, where her father pretty much ignored her, to a dinner where Raj was a guest of her sister (who was in on it), and her father was very interested in talking to him. Her situation made me sad, but in the end, she and her father had a better relationship. I didn’t expect to like this show as much as I did, and can’t wait to see who’s next.

Ryan writes, dearest, Ava. One of the many joys of writing letters instead of emails, is the care he can take in expressing how he feels. No hashtags, no abbreviations, and absolutely no emojis for us. He writes in ink, but consider it his life’s blood flowing to her in a never ending stream of admiration and devotion.
At the MetroCourt, Doc tells Laura that he can wait with her a while. He’s going to Shadybrook to determine if Franco is competent enough to choose his future, or if Elizabeth will choose it for him.
Franco asks Kim, what’s going on? and she says they extracted information from the black box. It pinpointed where Drew’s plane went down. Franco says, Drew is dead, isn’t he?
Scotty asks Cameron, isn’t it true that his relationship with his stepfather hasn’t always been good? Elizabeth tells Cameron, answer honestly, and Cameron says, it’s true. Scotty says, isn’t it also true that he didn’t want his mother to marry Franco? Cameron says he wasn’t always Franco’s biggest fan, but that changed. Scotty asks, what changed? His attitude, or did Franco change, and become his true self, Navy SEAL Drew Cane? Cameron says, true self? Why is Scotty putting it like that? Scotty says, because that’s how Franco’s lawyer is going to put it. Did he start to respect and admire Franco when he became somebody else?
Brad meets Lucas at Charlie’s, and Lucas asks where he’s been? Julian says he has to take care of something, probably just to get away from them. Lucas asks where Brad was this morning.
Outside, Julian finds Ava sitting on a bench looking catatonic. He asks, what is it? Is she coming or going? She says she doesn’t know.
Laura sees Sonny, and tells him, congratulations. He says they’re going to bring Donna home soon. They named her after somebody in the old neighborhood. Laura likes it. She tells Jason that she’s sorry to hear about what’s going on with Sam. Jason says Sam killed Shiloh to stop Shiloh from killing him. Sonny asks if Laura has any idea how to present that to the Feds.
Laura doesn’t agree with their choice to charge Sam, but it’s their jurisdiction. She doesn’t get a say. Sonny says, being mayor, maybe she could make some calls, and let them know Sam’s been cleared by the PCPD. Doc says, Sam’s been charged with a Federal crime, and Laura can’t intervene. Jason tells them, the FBI is claiming Shiloh’s death happened in international waters. It’s their legal justification to get to him. Sonny says he’ll do what he can to get these bogus charges dismissed. Laura tells him her best advice is to work the system. Talk to Diane, and take her advice. And have faith Diane can prove Sam’s innocence. Sonny thanks her, and he and Jason leave. Laura says she hates her job today. Doc says he thought he had a tough assignment today, but all he has to do is determine if Franco is in his right mind.
Franco asks if the official confirmation has changed things for Kim. Does she have a sense of closure, or is she feeling worse? Kim says, it’s difficult to believe he’s gone. Even though he didn’t have his memories, he was Oscar’s father. When he came to Port Charles, and she realized he was alive, even though he wasn’t the man she knew back then… Franco says, whatever man he was, he’s grateful he was there for their son. She says, he loved Oscar, as she did, and felt the loss deeply. She cries, and Franco holds her. Franco says Drew only went to Afghanistan on his behalf, to take the black market money that Shiloh made, and give it to humanitarian aid. Kim says, he wanted some good to come from all the pain and loss. Franco says, Drew went in his place. If not for him, Drew might still be alive.
Cameron says he didn’t change his mind about Franco after Franco saved him; it was before. When Franco sacrificed himself and took his place, it was because of who Franco is, not Drew. Scotty says, good, and Elizabeth says, perfect. Scotty tells Cameron not to get cocky. Franco’s attorney is going to go at him twice as hard. He doesn’t want to sound over-rehearsed. Cameron asks if he should practice being unrehearsed, but Scotty says, no. Don’t be over-emotional, and just answer the questions; do not volunteer anything else. Cameron says he can do that, and Elizabeth asks, what’s next? Scotty says they’ll get Doc’s psyche evaluation. However, Kim’s lawyer will have one done, and it might be a whole different slant. Cameron says, Kim hired a lawyer? Elizabeth tells Cameron to go get a snack, but Cameron says he saw them kissing; he gets it. They don’t have to keep anything from him.
Ryan looks at the Crimson cover of Ava on his cell wall. He writes, her name is a palindrome. Perfection at either end, no matter how you spell it. No wonder she’s always in his thoughts, as he knows he’s in hers. His goddess.
Julian brings Ava into Charlie’s, and she asks for a martini. He wonders if it isn’t a little early in the day, but she says she needs a drink. Her phone dings, and she says, it’s the gallery. Someone will handle it, or they won’t. He says that’s not like her. When’s the last time she had a good night’s sleep? She says, sleep leads to dreams. Either she sees Kiki, who hates her, or Ryan, who adores her. Either one is unbearable, so she stays awake. Then she thinks of Ryan or Kiki. The only way to find peace is in a strong martini. So where’s his cocktail shaker?
Brad tells Lucas at Charlie’s, the lab was crazy today. Then he had to call some friends. Lucas says something I don’t understand, and Brad asks why Lucas is giving him the third degree. Lucas says maybe because Chase said he saw Brad at Nelle’s parole hearing. What’s that about?
Sonny tells Jason, they can get the evidence to disappear, but Jason has another way to clear Sam’s name. A way that doesn’t involve Sonny. He tells Sonny to call Diane, but Sonny wants to help. He told Alexis that Sam will walk. Jason says, she will. Sonny asks what’s his plan? Jason says, it always comes back to Shiloh. He talked to Andre, and he ID’d Brice (new information – Henderson has a first name) as his attacker; the same guy who helped Shiloh escape. Andre’s attack and Drew’s plane crash are linked. Sonny says they may need to find out who killed Drew. They leave, and Doc and Laura watch. Doc says he knows Sonny is a good friend, but there’s only so much she can do. She says she’ll remind him of that after his session with Franco.
Laura asks if Doc thinks Franco is incapable of making his own decisions. Doc doesn’t want to speculate. If he has any bias, he can’t make an accurate determination She says that’s why he’s the best at what he does, but he says he has other talents. Like deciphering Helena’s weird portrait. She says, now that Valentin has thrown it away, they only have the one clue he found, and he says, Corona Vera, the true crown. She says, that would be Nikolas. He is the rightful heir. The portrait is the only thing Helena left him, and she thinks it’s strange that Helena let the fate of the Cassadine fortune rest on such meager clues. She feels like a cat chasing it’s tail. He says he likes cats; they’re independent, elegant, and have nine lives. She asks which one she’s in now, and he says, she’s right. There must be other clues. He says he needs to go to Shadybrook, and she needs to her meeting. They tell each other, good luck. Doc leaves, and Laura writes – Mikkos, Helena, Nikolas.
Kim tells Franco that it was Drew’s duty. He didn’t do it just for him, but for all of them, including Oscar. He and Drew shared more than memories and a name; they shared a son. Oscar would be proud of both of them. Franco doesn’t know how she does it. She’s so generous, although she’s clearly hurt. I make a raspberry sound. Kim says, it’s true. Franco says when he walks into the courtroom, people are going to believe he’s trying to assume the identity of a hero. He doesn’t know how he’ll manage that. Kim says when he talks to Doc, remember what’s in his heart and mind. If that remains true, then Drew Cane never dies. They kiss, and she leaves.
Cameron says Elizabeth doesn’t need to send him out of the room like a little kid. Elizabeth says there are details she and Scotty need to discuss. Scotty says, it’s legal business. He does it for a living, and it bores him to death. Elizabeth says she wants to make sure he’s taking care of himself; his homework, soccer, seeing his friends. Franco would want him to live his life to the max. Do for him, and her. Cameron says he knows what to do, and leaves.
Brad tells Lucas that Nelle reached out and asked him to come. She’s all alone in the world. Lucas says, there’s a reason for that. When you try to kill your fiancé, and send his mother to a hospital for the criminally insane, people tend to avoid you. Brad says Lucas knew where he was, and asks if this is some sort of test. Lucas says he was giving Brad a chance to be honest, but he couldn’t do it. He guesses old habits, like lying and Nelle, die hard.
Julian asks if Ava went to see Ryan, and Ava says she went to speak to the warden. When he refused to help her, she went to see Ryan to return his letters, and asks him to stop sending them. It only convinced him more that they were made for each other. Julian says she gave him what he wanted; a response. She rewarded him for stalking her. Ava says she wanted to get some control. She’s sick of being the object of his obsession. Julian says, forget Ryan. Take control of herself. Burn the letters, and forget them. She says she doesn’t have them. She left them to prove they mean nothing to her. Sonny comes in, and Julian says, now’s not the time. Sonny sits down, and says, don’t mind if I do.
Sonny asks if Ava wants to see Avery next week, and she says, of course (🍷). He says the last time, she canceled. Julian says, if there’s nothing else… Sonny says he has some business to take care of with Julian, and Ava says she’ll leave them to it. Julian asks her not to go, but she says, she’ll be all right. If she gets more letters, she won’t open them. She leaves, and Sonny asks, what’s wrong with her? Julian thought Sonny’s business was with him, and Sonny says Alexis told him that Julian is staying in town. Julian asks if he has a problem with that, and Sonny says, it depends.
Brad tells Lucas, he and Nelle used to be friends. He can’t turn his back on her. Lucas asks, why? She’s a reminder of the life Brad used to live; the life he swore he gave up for Wiley. Why does it seem to be back to before they were married? Brad promises he’s not that guy. He loves Lucas. Lucas says, then why did he have to learn Brad was at the hearing from Chase? It makes him wonder what else Brad is keeping from him. What’s the real reason Brad is seeing a psychiatrist? Brad says he told Lucas. He’s having anxiety. Lucas says, Shiloh is dead, and there are no more threats to their family. Wiley is safe, and that’s not enough? What else is Brad hiding from him?
Doc walks in as Franco is doing a jigsaw puzzle. He asks if it’s a good time, and Franco says, as good as any. Doc says, sometimes it helps if you separate the colors. It narrows the focus. Franco says, good tip. Doc says when they last spoke, he told Franco that he was a good listener. Franco says now Doc is here to prove he’s not capable of making his own decisions. Doc says he’s there to evaluate Franco, and draw his own conclusions. Franco is welcome to be evaluated by the psychiatrist of his own choice. Franco says, but this has already been arranged. It seems to him, the burden of proof is on Elizabeth to prove that he can’t make his own decisions. He’s guessing that’s why Doc is there. Doc says as Franco’s former therapist, he can judge Franco’s state of mind. How about if they focus on the real puzzle? Franco asks what that would be, and Doc says, him.
Elizabeth tells Scotty that Cameron is really committed to getting Franco back. Scotty says, when Franco comes back, they’ll make he sure knows how proud he should be of his stepson. Elizabeth says he will be. She asks what he wanted to tell her that Cameron couldn’t hear. Scotty says he got the preliminary witness list, and some people might be a problem. She says, such as? He says, her boss. She says, Monica’s not a psychiatrist, and he says, she’s not testifying as a doctor, but as a mother.
Kim tells reception nurse Janis that she’s there for a meeting to discuss her reinstatement. Janis says Dr. Hanover was delayed in surgery, and Kim says she’ll wait. She sees Cameron, and asks how school is. He says, fine; it’s everything else. He asks if there’s a place they can talk.
Jason goes to the prison to visit Brice. Brice says he knows Jason, and Jason says that makes them even. He knows Brice too. Brice doesn’t get it. What does Jason want? Jason says Brice made a serious mistake, and he’s going to give him a way out.
Julian gives Sonny an espresso, saying, consider it a peace offering. Sonny says he didn’t know they were at war – yet. Someone they know is very upset. Julian says, Olivia sent him. Sonny says, Olivia can take care of herself. She’s set on owning Charlie’s, and putting her personal stamp on it. Julian says, that’s the thing about life. They all have their disappointments. Sonny says, there’s the matter of Olivia’s deposit. He can complete the sale or return her money. He can’t have both. Julian asks if Sonny is Olivia’s foot soldier now. Is he there to make Julian pay or else?
Brad says he’s sorry. He should have told Lucas everything, but a lot of things are going on in Lucas’s family. Lucas says his family is Brad’s family, but he’s more concerned about a sociopath that tried to kill Lucas’s nephew. Brad swears it won’t happen again, and anyway, she was denied parole. Lucas asks, what if it had gone Nelle’s way because his support humanized her, and swayed the board? He doesn’t understand why Brad is acting like this. Talk to him. Brad says, there is something else. Something that has him losing sleep, and making him anxious as hell. Lucas says, tell him; what is it? Brad says, it’s Wiley.
On the phone, Laura says there was no message? Call his office, wait a few minutes, and call again. Ava sits at the bar, and says she’ll have another. The bartender says, another what? and she says, another of what she was having. He just looks at her, and she says, a vodka martini, three olives. Laura asks if she wants company. She was stood up by a lobbyist. Ava says, there are worse things. Laura asks if she’s still seeing the psychic. Ava says it was a waste of time. She didn’t need a psychic to summon Kiki. She can see Kiki on her own. She’s there every night in Ava’s dreams. Laura asks if she wants to talk about it, and Ava asks if Laura doesn’t have a ribbon to cut or a monument to dedicate. Hasn’t she got a husband to go home to? Ava takes her martini, and walks away.
Ryan licks the envelope, and calls the guard. He says this needs to go out in the next mail. Special delivery.
Doc asks if Franco is aware what it will mean to Elizabeth and her sons if he refuses treatment. Franco says he doesn’t want to hurt anyone. Is Doc aware that one of the outcomes could be that he’s a total vegetable. Doc asks if he’s afraid of the risk, and Franco says he’d be crazy not to be. Doc says he’s not there to determine if Franco is crazy. Franco is sure Doc has another word for it, like diminished capacity. Doc says he’s there to determine if Franco is aware of the consequences to the people he knows if he refuses. Are the people who know and love him expendable? Franco says he can’t be who they want him to be. Doc asks who he would be, and Franco says, himself. Doc says Drew died in a plane crash. He can’t be Drew. Or can he? Franco tells Doc not to put words in his mouth. He didn’t want that man to die. Doc asks if it doesn’t make it easier if he’s gone. One less Drew to worry about. Franco says he can only be who he is. Doc says, without his name; without his identity; without his art? Franco says he’s never held a paintbrush in his life. Doc says, but those hands have. There’s probably still paint under his fingernails. No matter how he protests or how hard he tries, he can’t get that one out.
Brice says Jason doesn’t care about him. Jason is definitely not there to help him, so what is it that he’s looking for? Jason says, his boss. Who wanted to help Shiloh escape? The same person who had him attack Andre and sabotage Drew’s jet. Brice is a busy guy! Brice says he has no idea what Jason is talking about. Jason says he’s talking about assault and attempted murder. Andre had no problem identifying Brice as the guy who stabbed him. Brice’s best option is to flip on whoever’s giving the orders. They know it’s not Sam, so who’s he working for?
Sonny tells Julian that this can be settled amicably. Julian says provided he gives Olivia what she wants? Sonny says, provided Julian holds up his end of the agreement. Julian says he knows a shakedown when he sees one. Is he playing hardball, encouraging Olivia to stick it to him? Sonny says, Olivia is family, and he looks out for his own. That’s why he knows Julian will do the right thing.
Lucas asks Brad, what about Wiley, and Brad says, it’s called parenthood. Lucas may have mastered it, but he has a different learning curve. He’s terrified of getting it wrong. Lucas says the only way that will happen is if Brad keeps things from him. Brad promises to do better. Lucas takes Brad’s hand, and says they’re a team. Talk to him. Brad says he loves Lucas, and he loves their son. He won’t let anything or anyone ruin what they have. I feel ripped off. Every time it seems like Brad is going to confess, he doesn’t.
Laura finds Ava, and says she got Ava a drink. She puts down a glass of water, and asks if she can join Ava. Ava says, something tells her that’s not vodka. Laura says, the mayor is still on the clock, and she thought Ava could use a change of pace. Ava thanks her, and apologizes about the cheap shot about Laura’s husband. She really does want them to be happy. Laura thanks her, and says she wants Ava to be happy too. Ava picks up the water, and says, here’s to happiness. Laura says, it’s bad luck to toast with water, and Ava says, her luck really can’t get worse.
Franco tells Doc that he has no memory of ever having made a painting. Doc asks if Franco realizes how he came to have his memories, and Franco says it’s been explained to him. Doc asks if he realizes that Franco, whose DNA he carries, voluntarily took the place of his stepson to save his reason, and possibly his life. Does he realize the last thing Franco said to Cameron before he ceased to be himself was to tell his mom that he loves her and he’ll be back? Franco says, that was him, not me, and Doc says, him is you. Does he realize the consequence of not choosing treatment, not just for himself, but for Elizabeth and her sons? Franco says, if he answers yes, he doesn’t care, and if he answers, no, he has no case. Doc says, that’s not an answer. Franco says, he does care about Elizabeth and her boys. So much that he’s telling them the truth. What happened to Franco was wrong and unfair, but it’s not his doing, and he shouldn’t have to sacrifice himself to undo it. He has to be himself. He doesn’t know how the hell to be anyone else.
Elizabeth says, if Monica is willing to give her stamp of approval and the Quartermain name to Franco, that could definitely sway the judge. Scotty says, crazy Heather is out of the question. He could call Betsy, but if it comes down to dueling mommies, they’ll lose. Elizabeth asks if there’s nothing they can do. Scotty tells her, he didn’t say that. A mother is a powerful weapon, but never underestimate fathers. They’ve got fists. They come in and duke it out. He’ll get in there and fight for Franco. They also have a secret weapon. Elizabeth says, Cameron.
Camron knows how much Kim misses Oscar. He misses Oscar every day. He knows how much worse it has to be for her, but taking Franco away from their family isn’t going to bring Oscar back. She says, as difficult as it is to accept, she shares things with the man he knows as Franco. Cameron says, he is Franco. He knows she’s hired a lawyer and a shrink to prove he’s the man she wants him to be, but that doesn’t make it true. He knows something she doesn’t about Drew Cane.
Jason says, the beard and glasses were a nice touch, but it wasn’t enough. Brice is looking at serous jail time. Brice says, supposing that’s true – and he’s not saying it is – why should he play ball? Jason says the Feds might cut him a deal if he gives up his employer, especially if it’s Peter. Brice looks at him, and Jason takes that as a yes. Brice says he’ll talk to his lawyer. He’ll see what the Feds are prepared to offer. If he likes the terms, Jason will get the answers he wants. Brice hangs up the phone, and says, they’re done.
Kim asks Cameron what he knows about Drew, and Cameron says he knows how much Drew meant to Oscar, even though he came along later in Oscars life. Franco means the same to him. He cares about Franco. Not just as his mom’s husband, or the guy with the weird sense of humor, or as his stepdad. Elizabeth listens outside the door. Cameron says, they didn’t get along at first. They fought. Franco screwed up, and so did he, but Franco was the first one to say he was sorry. He tried, and kept trying, no matter how hard Cameron pushed him away. He just wants to thank him. He wants to be good to Franco, like Franco was to him. He wants more time with Franco. Is that too much to ask? I burst out crying, thinking of my own father.
Franco asks Doc, what’s the verdict? Thumbs up or thumbs down? Doc says he’s heard all he needs to, and thanks Franco for speaking with him. He’ll let Franco finish his puzzle.
Ava asks Laura why she’s being so nice. Laura says for all of their differences, they’re a lot alike. Ava didn’t expect her to say that, and Laura says they have a lot in common. She knows what it feels like to love so much, you have to find a way to go on when that person is gone. Ava says she doesn’t know how to do that. It just hurts. Laura takes Ava’s hand. Someone watches.
Lucas guesses it’s a good thing they’re seeing Neil together. If for no other reason than to convince Brad that their family deserves a happy ending. Brad says, from his lips to Freud’s ears, and they hug.
Sonny thanks Julian for the espresso. He’ll let Olivia know that Julian will work something out. He tells Julian, look out for Ava –for Avery’s sake.
Jason calls Diane. He says he talked to Brice, and thinks he got what they need.
Brice goes back to his cell, and sees the Ava cover. He says, man, she’s hot. Midnight in the Garden of Good and Eva. The apple and snake metaphor works for him. He’s cutting a deal, and should be out soon. Maybe he’ll look her up and show her a good time. Ryan clutches his pen tightly.
Tomorrow, Jordan tells Curtis this town is riddled with liars, Laura says she wants to help Ava, Jason says the Feds are going to find out they have no case, and Ryan says something terrible has happened, while blood drips down his hand.
Million Dollar Listing New York
Fredrik saw heather at the relaunch in L.A., and found out why Josh Altman is so pissed. Heather told him, although they’re all friends, Fredrik didn’t personally tell them that he’s opening a team in their office building, and they found out about it through an eblast. She said it was shady, slimy, and bizarre. Fredrik thought her reaction was bizarre, and I agree. Thoughtless maybe, but shady, slimy, and bizarre? Has the smog and traffic gotten to them? She insisted he must have an ulterior motive, but couldn’t explain what that might be. She told him that he’s screwed because he got on Josh’s bad side, and he’d ruined the relationship. Not too much of an overreaction. Tracy, David, and James (Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles) were also at the relaunch. When Fredrik told them he had a minor issue with Josh, David or James (I still have a hard time differentiating between them) said, welcome to the club. They told Fredrik that Josh gets angry when threatened, but Tracy thought Josh was just being a baby because Fredrik didn’t tell him about the new office. Fredrik’s brother Sigge has moved to NYC, and we found out that Fredrik has a second secret career – he and his brother write movies together. They were pitching a finished horror film, as well as working on a family drama, The Divorce, based on their childhood. Sigge was not too happy to find out Fredrik was considering a bi-coastal move, since he and his wife had left everything in Sweden to move next door.
Tyler started off optimistic, giving credit to life coach Vivace for making more money despite the market crash, and being happier, but his week took a down turn like the market. He’d lost the $10 million listing, which his bosses had been hoping for, and went back to his roots with the $3-4 million range. At first, it seemed promising, with rental tenants Alex and Lyndi (and dog Bonzo) wanting an upgrade as they were starting a family. He showed them an apartment in Turtle Bay in the East 50s. The views were incredible, Tyler telling them that it was a $10 million living room in a $4 million apartment. Alex was hesitant, saying he’d miss the downtown vibe. In Tyler’s interview, he said, in NYC, your neighborhood becomes part of your identity. I must have missed that memo when I lived there. The kitchen was too small for Lyndi, but they seemed happy with another apartment being sold by another agent. Tyler said agent/owners made the best sellers, since they could really point out the positive features. Unfortunately, once again Tyler’s hard work did not pay off when the buyers decided to consult with their parents, who thought they were in over their heads. Their budget dropped to $3 million, which Tyler thought was a warning sign that it could be a never-ending process.
Steve and Luiza, who was in her third trimester, decided on a name for their baby – Rose. This would make her Rose Gold, which could go either way in life. Either people will think it’s fabulous, or she’ll really get made fun of. Pam, from Corcoran Sunshine, tried to help Steve out with the dueling penthouse situation, but the Corcoran brokers refused to budge, saying they weren’t reducing the price or taking the other penthouse off the market. Steve told developer Joel that there was a disconnect between his and Corcoran’s strategy. He said he didn’t make a practice of walking away, but wasn’t comfortable staying on. It pained him, but he didn’t believe it was the right strategy, and couldn’t put his name behind it. He told us everything that he did from then on was to build a future for his family, and it made more sense to allocate his time to something more profitable.
Ryan was hired to sell a property in the Golden Triangle on the upper east side, which he described as the wealthiest triangle in the world. It was a classic Park Avenue apartment, a humongous property with loads of hallways and doorways, and even the molding on the marble master bathroom doorway was marble. The apartment had been acquired at $17.2 million, but the owners accepted his suggested to sell at $14.9. They agreed pretty quickly, which surprised me, but their assistant did says they just had too many apartments. Must. Be. Nice. Because of what Ryan determined was a waste of square footage, and a confusing floor plan, he knew the average person wasn’t going to be his buyer. He had diplomats in mind, since it was near the United Nations. Enter Kirk, a broker for a client he was pretty secretive about, which was cool with Ryan, who said he liked a little mystery. In his interview, Ryan told us that his spy name would be Colby Spokane. Kirk’s client had been looking for two years, and he’d shown them over fifty apartments. Kirk did think this might be the one, and was thrilled that it had a service entrance. In the meantime, Cory and Jacquie, of Tribeca ground floor loft fame, were suddenly balking at the $4.625 million being offered for their space. They wanted something closer to $5 million, so Ryan suggested going into contract, which would take time, and still showing the apartment to see if they could get a better offer. He explained that Tribeca had been hit the hardest in the down market, and the buyer would also have to be very specific. He compared the loft to the merchandise in Cory’s antique store, saying only a very specific kind of buyer would be looking for a stork made of spoons. I totally get this, since I sell a lot of vintage items. Ryan’s plan was put in motion, but in the end, the sellers ended up taking the original offer. In his interview, Ryan told us never to doubt him, but admitted he had doubted himself. It was a good week for Ryan, since he also ended up selling to Kirk’s buyer for $13.75 million. He said the market wasn’t bad; it was great. Most brokers just don’t know how to close.
