General Hospital

In a plane over Mexico City, Curtis wonders if Sonny would mind if he and Jordan rerouted his plane to honeymoon in Tahiti. Jordan says, when this is over, Tahiti is definitely in the books. He asks if that means she sees an end in sight, but she says, right now, all she can see is Cyrus’s hold on her, and the explosion at The Floating Rib they know Cyrus is responsible for. He says, then they don’t leave until they get the information they need on Cyrus.

At the hospital, Brando looks at Dev’s fake ID. Maxie asks if he needs help, but he says he’s good. She tells him that he doesn’t have to pretend with her. She heard about Dev and she’s sorry. He thanks her, and she says, to be honest, he looks a little lost. Maybe he should go home. He says he can’t; he’s working.

Cyrus asks for a moment of Portia’s time (soon to be a new drinking game), but she says she doesn’t have a moment. He asks how Lulu is.  

Laura looks in on Lulu, and thinks about when Lulu was a baby. Doc tells her that Tracy is there. Tracy gives Laura some coffee from Kelly’s, and joins her at the window.

Sonny tells Jason, Julian had Duke killed, and he stayed out of it. Julian held a knife to Alexis’s throat, and claimed it was a show, and Alexis stayed with him. He let that one go. Jason says, Julian planted a bomb at The Floating Rib, killed Dev, and was just minutes away from killing Danny. Sonny says, exactly. Julian has pushed him too far.

Julian asks if Lulu is dead, and Ava says, no, but she might as well be. What are they going to do now?

At the hospital, Charlotte asks if Valentin is scared of visiting her mama too, and he says he doesn’t like the machines. He hates the idea of her being hooked up to them. Charlotte says, she’s not herself? and Valentin says, kind of like that. Charlotte says that’s why she can’t go in room. Her mom will feel how scared she is, and it will make things worse for her. Nina comes in, and says, not if she has back-up. Charlotte runs to Nina and hugs her.

Laura tells Tracy, she doesn’t know if she said it before, but thanks for coming. Tracy says, how could she not? Lulu is her stepdaughter. It’s too bad she couldn’t get ahold of Luke. When Luke is off on an adventure, it’s radio silence, sometimes for days or weeks. It’s going to break his heart that he’s not there. Did they get a second opinion? Laura says both Patrick and Griff agree with Lucas’s diagnosis. Lucas is an excellent neurosurgeon, and she trusts him. Tracy says, if Monica was still in charge, Lulu’s injuries would have been detected before she collapsed, but Doc says, it’s not possible to know that. Tracy says, when Ned told her Monica had been replaced as Chief of Staff by that she-wolf Britt Westbourne, she couldn’t believe it. Doc says, they’re all finding it difficult to accept, and Tracy says, of course (🍷) they are. What’s happened to this hospital? What’s happened to Port Charles? And who is going to make it right? 

Portia says she already told Cyrus, she can’t divulge confidential patient information. He says Lulu is the mayor’s daughter, and he needs to know that she’s getting the best care possible, and that no effort is being spared in preventing her from deteriorating. Portia says, every patient there gets the best care. She suggests he doesn’t offer the family his condolences. His concern certainly isn’t welcome.

Curtis asks Jordan, when she was with the DEA, did Cyrus ever mention any family? She says, he was tight-lipped about his personal life. Their investigation never uncovered anyone he was close to. Curtis says, no wife or girlfriend? and she says, Cyrus had girlfriends, but they were more like trophies. She doesn’t think he cared about any of them. Curtis wonders who Cyrus had shut up in Oregon, and where they are now, and Jordan says they’re flying to Mexico to find answers. He says, that raises another question. Why did Cyrus purchase the medical equipment in Mexico City, and not America? She asks if it matters. It’s just another clue like the postcard. He says, which Cyrus tried to burn. Why leave the supplies, unless he knows they’ll lead to a dead end? She says they’ll find out soon enough. She can’t stay away much longer. Cyrus is going to start wondering about her condition, and demanding to see her. He thinks Cyrus has his hands full with the explosion. Portia calls, and says she has an update on Lulu.

Jason tells Sonny, retaliating against Julian will do nothing to stop Cyrus. Cyrus is the problem. Sonny disagrees, and says, Julian needs to pay. Jason suggests they play this another way. Julian can finger Cyrus as the one who planted the bomb, and Cyrus won’t want Julian to talk. He also thinks Julian has information they can use against Cyrus. Sonny asks if Jason is saying they should keep Julian alive, and Jason says he’s just throwing out possibilities. Sonny says he has another possibility. They get the information from Julian, and then kill him.   

Julian sees that Ava has a gun, and asks what she’s going to do with it. She says she hasn’t decided yet, and he tells her, put it away. She says, so he can distract her and grab it? but he says he’s not killing her like she won’t kill him. She says he planted a bomb at The Floating Rib. Lulu is in a coma, and her boyfriend is dead, along with Sonny’s cousin. He doesn’t think he should be punished for that? He says Cyrus told him the place would be empty. He said he was going to lure Jason there after the place closed. Cyrus lied to him. She says, of course (🍷) he did. That’s what Cyrus Renault does; he lies. Julian made the choice to believe him so he could feel better about what he was doing. Julian says, he had no choice; the man had his foot on his throat. She asks what he thought Cyrus was going to ask him to do in return for killing Ryan? Give him drinks on the house for a month? Julian says he was desperate, and she says he’s always desperate. She begged him to run. He says, then what? Put Sam and Lucas in Cyrus’s sites, and Danny and Leo? What about her? She says, so he put a bomb in a bar. Her hero. He says he’s sorry with all his heart, and she says he’s always sorry. That never seems to stop him from making bad decisions. Think how different his life would be if he’d told Lucas the truth about Wiley. He could have saved Lucas from the fallout, and it might have brought them closer. Now Lucas can’t stand the sight of him. Julian says he needs support, not judgment, and she says he just doesn’t get it. Innocent people are dead because of him. He says he screwed up a thousand times over. He gets it. He can’t stay there, so he’s leaving. She says, no – she raises the gun – he won’t.

Maxie goes up to Cyrus, and he says he recognizes Maxie from her recent article in The Invader on her excellent work at Deception. There was also a glowing mention about Sasha, the face of Deception. How is she doing? He was sorry to hear about her trouble. Maxie says, what trouble?

Jordan says, Curtis told Sonny why they needed to borrow his plane, but he didn’t tell her the plan after they land in Mexico City. What’s their next move? He asks if she speaks Spanish (in Spanish), and she says, muy bueno.    

Sonny tells Jason that he’s not going alone; he needs back-up. Jason says he can handle Julian, and Sonny says, what about Ava? She may be siding with Julian. Jason asks if Sonny thinks she’ll listen to him, and he says, she’ll listen to Avery’s father. Let’s go.

Julian tells Ava to think about the consequences of killing him. It’s not going to solve anything. It will just create more problems for her. She says, no one knows he’s there, and he says Jason already came looking for him there. He’s going to come back. What’s going to happen if he sees them together? What is she going to tell him? She says, the truth. She protected him until she learned the full extent of his crimes, then she killed him. He promises her that he can fend for himself; let him walk away. She tells him that he said it himself, Cyrus is after him. As long as he’s alive, Cyrus can use them all as leverage. He says, they’re family, and she says, so is Nikolas. He says, Nikolas used Kiki’s memory against her, and threw her into Franco’s arms to ditch her so he could keep his fortune. She’s choosing him over her own brother? She says, yes. She loves Nikolas.  

Nina hugs Charlotte, who says, she came. Nina says she always comes when Charlotte calls her, and Valentin says Charlotte didn’t tell him that she called Nina. Charlotte says she didn’t know how he’d feel, or if Nina would come. He says he’s glad Nina did, and doubly glad that Charlotte called her. He thanks Nina, and Nina says she and Charlotte are friends. That’s what friends do; they show up when you need help. Charlotte asks if Nina will come with her to ICU, and stand outside the room while she visits. Nina thinks that’s a great idea, and they leave. Martin tells Valentin, it’s a lovely picture, doesn’t he think? Funny how things ended up with Lulu just the way Valentin hoped they might.

In Lulu’s room, Nikolas tells Dante, it’s hard to believe she won’t wake up. Dante says, her face is still as beautiful as ever. He wishes he knew the right words to say to wake her, and Nikolas says, except this is no fairytale. Doc calls them out of the room, and in the hallway, Laura is thanking Portia. Nikolas asks, what’s happening? and Portia says, the team from the long-term care facility has arrived, and they need to prepare Lulu for transfer. Laura thinks what Portia is trying to say is, it’s time to say goodbye.

Julian says, it’s easy to see why Ava fell in love with Nikolas, but what about her own brother? She says, of course (🍷) she loves him. Does he think this is easy for her? Does he think she wants to do this? He’s the one who talked about having no choices. He’s right. He’s run out of choices. He had plenty, but he squandered them all. Cyrus wants to cover his tracks, and Sonny wants him dead for revenge. She doesn’t see either one of them as being merciful like she’ll be. He tells her, don’t kid herself. She’s not doing him any favors by killing him. She says responsibility, from one Jerome to another.  

In disguise, Curtis and Jordan go into an office, and the receptionist asks how she can help them. (In Spanish) Curtis says his incompetent assistant forgot to schedule their tour of the facility before they return to New York. He introduces himself as the Chief Logistic Officer of a medical supply start-up. They provide quality personal protective equipment to medical personnel, and they’re interested in partnering with the company. He’d like to get a tour before they open discussions. The receptionist says, sorry, but the factory floor is closed for the day. Curtis gets loud at Jordan, and says he knew this would happen. He never should have hired her. He has a good mind to fire her, and leave her in Mexico City to fend for herself. The receptionist asks him to calm down, and calls security.

Valentin asks if Martin thinks he wanted this. That’s cynical, even for him. Martin says Valentin has to admit it turned out well for him. Valentin says Charlotte is hurting, so he’s hurting. Martin suggests they discuss shoring up custody before Lulu’s mother intervenes, and Valentin tells him, he’s fired, and joins Nina and Charlotte.   

Laura asks where the people from the long-term care facility are, and Portia says they’re waiting in the conference room. Laura thanks her, and thanks her for everything she’s done. She’s going to talk to them about the transfer, and she’ll be back.

Maxie says, Sasha had a heart attack? That’s not possible. Cyrus says he thought his driver told her. He’s the one who found her, and brought her to the ER. Maxie says, Sasha is so young; what happened? Brando says, it was caused by a drug overdose, and Maxie says, Sasha was doing drugs? She knew Sasha was struggling but…. Okay. She’d like to see Sasha, and she’ll have to cancel the trunk show. She sees Laura, and asks, what’s going on? Laura  says, the people from the long-term care facility are here to take Lulu to Manhattan. Maxie says, it’s too soon, but Laura says, GH isn’t set up for this type of care. She wanted Maxie to have the opportunity to say goodbye. Maxie says, of course (🍷), and hugs Laura. Cyrus tells Laura, he’s so sorry to hear about Lulu. He’s come to know her daughter, and admires her. He’ll keep the family in his prayers. If there’s anything he can do as Chairman of the hospital, or a concerned citizen, please reach out. Laura reaches out, and smacks him across the face. 

Ava takes Julian to the parapet. He says, it’s pouring, and she says, easier to clean up. He asks if she doesn’t want to get blood on her husband’s carpet. She tells him to turn around and kneel down, and he asks, what’s the matter? She can’t look him in the eye when she murders him? Sorry. He’s not going to make it easy. She says, it’s either her, Cyrus, or Sonny; take his pick. He walks out with her behind him with the gun. She asks if there’s anything he wants her to tell his children, and he says, tell the kids he loves them. Tell them when they’re faced with difficult decisions, not to go with fear like he did. Tell them he’s sorry he caused them pain, and he was such a failure. She says he’s not a failure. He’s sacrificing himself for them; what a true father does. She’ll make sure they remember him like that. She tells him, goodbye, and he says, don’t worry. They’ll be seeing each other soon enough, since they’re both going to the same place.

Sonny and Jason arrive at Windymere, and find Julian and Ava. While Ava is distracted, Julian jumps off the parapet. Saw that one coming.  

Curtis apologizes to the receptionist, and says, security isn’t necessary. The receptionist tells the guard, that Curtis is from an important company in New York, and would like a tour. The guard says, at this late hour? and Curtis says he knows it’s late; please forgive him. He starts to leave, and the receptionist asks the guard, who she’s obviously familiar with, if they couldn’t make an exception just once, if they accompany them. He says, of course (🍷), and Curtis tells Jordan to stay there; she’ll just get in the way. He goes with the guard, and the receptionist tells Jordan, she had a boss just like him. What a monster. She leaves, and Jordan puts a flashdrive into the computer.  

Doc holds Laura back, and Brando starts to intervene, but Cyrus says he takes that to mean she doesn’t want his help. Laura says, oh my God. Mac Scorpio said The Floating Rib was a bombing. The PCPD will trace the bomb to the maker, and back to him. So help her God, nothing is going to stop her from taking him off this earth. He says, do what she must. No one ever stopped her before. Doc takes Laura away while Martin watches.

Tracy tells Lulu, her dad is off on an adventure, but she knows what he’d say. He’d give her hell for just lying there, taking it easy, and she’d have no choice but to give him hell right back. Luke’s darling girl. She knows Lulu likes to do things in her own time, but please don’t make him wait too long to tell her how much he loves her; how much they both do.

Nikolas tells Lulu, it’s not fair that someone with so much warmth, spirit, and kindness should end up like this. Ever since she was a little kid, he promised to protect her. How many times he broke that promise. How many times he broke her heart. Don’t start counting. He’s trying to be the man she wants him to be. The big brother she can be proud of. When she wakes up – and she will wake up – he’ll be waiting to show her. It’s one promise he won’t break.

Charlotte tells Lulu that she’ll take care of Rocco. She doesn’t have to worry about him. Just get better, and please come home as soon as she can.

Valentin tells Lulu, Martin isn’t entirely wrong. All the court fights, trying to take Charlotte away from her. He wanted Charlotte for himself, and Charlotte changed mind. He realized how much Charlotte needs her, and of course (🍷) that means he needs her. She’ll find a way back to Charlotte, but until she does, he’ll keep her safe, he promises. But he can only make her so happy. Without Lulu, it’s just not enough.

Maxie tells Lulu she’s sending Deception products over to the facility. Lulu is going to be pampered like crazy, and because she’s the greatest friend in the entire world, she found a beauty specialist to keep Lulu’s skin healthy. She can’t lose her natural radiance. Everyone is rooting for her, and sending good thoughts her way, and they’ll be there when it’s time for her to come home. Dante comes in, and Maxie starts to cry. He holds her.   

Valentin tells Charlotte that she’s incredibly brave. He knows her mom can hear her, and feel her love. Charlotte says she told Lulu that she’d take care of Rocco, and Valentin says Rocco is going to need her. She’s going to need him. Nikolas asks if Nina has spoken to Ava, but she says she hasn’t. Is everything okay? He says he’s not sure. She said she had something to take care of, and he thought she’d be done by now.

Sonny asks if there’s any sign of Julian, but Jason says, the surf is strong, and it’s too dark, even with the lightening. Sonny asks if Ava knows what Julian did, and Ava says she knew he was in trouble. He came to her last night, and said Sonny and Cyrus were after him, and he was looking for a safe place to stay. Jason asks if Julian told her why Cyrus and Sonny were after him, and she says, not at first. Nikolas got a call that Lulu was in the hospital. Sonny says, she got a brain injury from the explosion at The Floating Rib, and Ava says, when she heard that, everything became clear. So came back to kill him herself.

Jordan hears them coming back, and tells the computer, come on. She grabs the drive, and Curtis comes in with the guard and the receptionist. He thanks them for the tour. He’s sure their companies will be successful together. The receptionist tells him to have his assistant get in touch. They’d like to work with her. He supposes she deserves a second chance. She’s not entirely useless.

Sonny asks why Ava didn’t call the minute she found out about Julian. She says she wanted to save him, and Sonny says she wanted to kill him herself? She says she wanted it to be quick, from someone who loved him. He says, she can still say that after what he did? Ava says, he was family. She wanted to protect him. She had to protect the innocent, and Julian’s children are a little safer now. Sonny asks if she realizes, just because he’s gone, it’s not over. She says it’s over for her. Jason comes back and says he checked everywhere, and there’s no sign of Julian.  

Laura tells Doc, it went as well as it could. She believes Lulu will have the best possible care, but she just wants to hold Lulu in her arms, and tell her it will be okay. She wants her love for Lulu to bring Lulu back; to her, to them, to the family. Doc says, he knows, and deep down Lulu senses her love. It will give Lulu something to hold onto until she’s ready to come back to them. She thanks him, and says she thinks she can do this now.

Dane says he bets Lulu would tell him that he’s an expert at saying goodbye, but he’s not, so she’d be wrong for once. He honestly thought leaving her and the family would be the worst he could feel, but now he knows the ones left behind suffer the most. He’s sorry for making her feel like that. He takes her hand and puts it on his chest, saying he has a broken heart. He cries, and says he doesn’t know how to mend it except to wait for her. So that’s what he’s going to do; wait for her. She’s got to come back to him so he can earn her forgiveness for all the times he’s hurt her. Only then, if she tells him to, he’ll go.

Jordan looks through the information from the computer, and Curtis asks if she found anything. She says, Cyrus has an account with the medical supply company for a patient by the name of Gray.

Cyrus tells Brando that he’s dismissed for the day. Brando doesn’t move, and Cyrus says, don’t make him repeat himself. Go. Martin tells Cyrus that he knows how to clear a room, and Cyrus says, his driver? Martin says, the mayor actually. She didn’t seem convinced by his deepest sympathy act. Cyrus says he doesn’t recall asking Martin’s opinion, and Martin says, tell him. In all these years, has Cyrus ever known him to wait to be called upon?

Jason says, now that Julian is gone, how does Sonny want to handle Cyrus? Sonny says, maybe they can use Julian after all, since Cyrus doesn’t know he went off the parapet. Jason says they could leave a trail for Cyrus that he’ll think leads to Julian, and Sonny says, what Cyrus is going to find at the end of the trail is a bullet. Jason says, that could work, unless Julian survived the fall, and is still alive. Sonny says, if that turns out to be true, he’ll make sure Julian wishes he were dead.

Julian lies at the bottom of a cliff. Dead or unconscious, we don’t know.

Nikolas paces at the hospital. Ava comes in, and takes his hand.

Laura says she knows Lulu can hear her, but she can’t answer, and that’s all right. Her body needs to rest right now. She knows exactly where Lulu is. Rest, but don’t sleep too long, okay? Lulu has been through so many things in her life, and she always managed to overcome and fight her way back, so please fight her way back to her. Laura cries, and says, please. Because if she goes, Lulu will take her heart with her.

Lulu is taken out on a gurney, and we hear Laura in a voiceover. She says Lulu brought new colors into her life. She filled in blanks Laura didn’t know were there, and she will rejoice when Lulu comes back to her again. Nina holds Charlotte, and Laura and Doc walk with Lulu to the elevator. Laura’s voiceover says she rejoiced the day Lulu was born, and she’s rejoiced every day since. As Lulu goes into the elevator, she says, Lulu will come back. She’s Lulu’s mom, and knows better than anyone, and she knows Lulu will never give up until she comes home. The elevator doors close, and Laura breaks down. Doc holds her.

Tomorrow, Curtis asks if Jordan thinks Cyrus is onto them, Franco asks Cameron to do something for him, Carly tells Sam to leave Josslyn out of it, and Sonny thinks Sam needs to know Julian almost killed her son.   

The Haves and The Have Nots

Hanna asks Derrick why he’s there, and he says there are things he needed to fix. She asks how he got in, and he says he has a key. She tells him, don’t come near her, but he says, please. She repeats, don’t come near her, and picks up a knife. He says, it’s like that? and she says, it’s like that. He raped her. He says, sorry, and she says, he’s sorry? That’s all he has to say? He says, she won’t let him talk. Put the knife down. Hanna tells him, get out, but he says, just let him say this. She says she’s calling the police. He continues to take advantage of her, and won’t leave. She calls 9-1-1, and at first tells them, never mind, but when Derrick says, let him talk, she asks them to please send someone to 7431 Drummond. There’s a person who won’t leave. The officer asks if it’s her house, and she says it’s her boss’s house, but she’s in charge. He asks if there are weapons, and she says, not that she knows of. He asks if she’s safe, and she says she will be when he sends someone. He tells her an officer is on the way.

Derrick tells Hanna, they’ll take him to jail, and she says, then he needs to leave. He says he’s willing to go to say this to her, and she says, then he’s a talking going to jail ass. He says she needs to deal with this at some point, and she says she’s dealt with it for years. He says he’s sorry, but she says she doesn’t care about his sorry. Get out. He says he doesn’t want this to hurt her anymore. She’s a good woman and he knows she hates him, but he can’t take it back. He’s changed; let him prove it. She says, okay, then honor her wishes and get his ass out. He asks if she’s never going to talk to him again? and she says, that’s the plan. He knows he’s fired, right? He says, Mrs. Cryer has to do that, and she says she has power of attorney over the house and all of Kathryn’s affairs, so he’s fired. Don’t come around again. Are they clear? He says, okay. He’ll never see her again. She hopes to God she doesn’t, and he says he’s a changed man; he’s a Christian. She says, amen. He knows God? He asks if she doesn’t believe in forgiveness; then forgive him. She says she has for herself. What he did to her was killing her inside. He says he’s sorry, and she tells him not to say it again. He says he thanks God that he’s changed, and she asks if he’s leaving now. He says, okay, and she thanks him. She asks if he really loves God, and he says he does. She asks if he hopes to see God one day, and he says, yes. She tells him, come back around there or her ever again, and she’ll put him on that trip to see Him sooner than he thinks. He says he gets it, and she says, good. He leaves, and she follows behind him. He opens the door, and the police are there. Two officers get out of the car, and one asks if Hanna called. She says she did, and he asks who Derrick is. She says, just the help; he used to work there. The cop asks if Derrick has ID, and if he’s trespassing. Derrick says he works there, and the officer asks, what’s the problem? Derrick looks at Hanna, who says, no problem; he’s leaving. The cop says he still needs to see Derrick’s ID, and Derrick asks, why? The cop says, just give it to him, and Derrick says he didn’t do anything. He takes out his wallet, and looks at Hanna, saying, he told her. The officer says, stay there, and goes to the car. Derrick says he didn’t do anything; he works there. The other cop asks what he does, and Derrick says, he’s a repairman. The cop looks at Hanna, and she says she’s the estate manager. The first cop comes back, and tells Derrick, step down, and put his hands behind his back. He has a warrant out for assault in the system. He reads Derrick his rights, and cuffs him. Poor Derrick.

Jim’s doctor comes in, and asks how he is. Jim says he feels like hell, and the doctor says, sorry to hear that. He had to put screws in Jim’s shoulder, since it was shattered badly. Jim says he needs to get out, but the doctor doesn’t advise it. Jim says he’s not asking for advice, and the doctor says he can’t keep Jim. Jim tells the doctor to get his clothes, give him the strongest pain meds they have, and let him out. He absolves the doctor of any responsibility, and he’s a judge. The doctor goes to see about Jim’s clothes, and Marty comes in. Jim asks what the hell Marty is there for, and Marty says they need to talk. He went to see Kathryn, and has to tell Jim some disturbing news. Wyatt was brought in here late last night. Jim says, dammit; why? and Marty says, it seems Wyatt tried to take his own life. Jim says, that damn kid. Is he okay? Marty says, he seems to be. They bandaged him up, and he’s awake now. He’s sorry to tell Jim, but Kathryn wanted him to. Jim thanks him, and asks how she’s doing. Marty says, she wants to get out, and Jim says he bets she does. Jim struggles to sit up, and Marty says he doesn’t think Jim should be doing that. Jim says he doesn’t care what Marty thinks; help him get dressed and take him to his son. Marty helps him out of bed.

Celine sees her son Jimmy in the hallway, and Jimmy says she didn’t tell him about the eviction notice. She says she spoke to an attorney who’s going to help. Jimmy says he’ll go into that room, and put Jim’s face in the wall. Celine says, what room? and Jimmy says Jim knows he’s there. She asks, how? and he says, don’t worry about it. She asks what he said to Jim, and Jimmy says, all he wanted to. She says she’s got it handled, and tells him to stop. Jim comes along, and Jimmy says he’s an a-hole. Jim says, thank you, and Jimmy says his mother is being put out of her house. Jim says he doesn’t care, and Jimmy says he knows that. Celine says, stop it, and Jim tells Jimmy to move out of his way. Jimmy says, move him, and Jim laughs. He says, as much fun as that would be, Jimmy is lucky he didn’t call the police on his sorry ass. Celine says, about what? and Jim says, Jimmy didn’t tell her? Sonny boy pulled a gun on him. Jimmy says, the son of a bitch deserves it, and Jim says, whatever. He tells Jimmy, get out of the way. He’s going to see his real son. Jimmy says, the drug addict, and Jim says, that’s the one. He has more than Jimmy’s sorry ass. Jim tells Celine, check the milkman, and moves on. A man asks to see Celine, and she tells Jimmy to go. She needs this job.

Celine goes to the man’s office, and he tells her, have a seat. She says, that was her son, and promises he won’t come around again, but he says, it’s not about her son. One of the doctors said she was harassing a patient – Jim Cryer. She says she wasn’t, and he says she knows about the policy there. She says she didn’t harass him, and he says, sorry; he has to… She says, wait. He’s going to fire her? She’s good at her job. He tells her, calm down, even though she is calm. I hate when men use phrases like that to control women, so I’m pissed at this point. She tells him that Jim is the father of her son, and won’t take care of them. He can’t fire her. He says he’s not firing her, but this will have to go on file. If Jim complains again, he’ll have to let her go. Jim wanted him to fire her, but he said, no. Don’t make him regret it. Stay away from the patients. She thanks him.

Jim knocks on Wyatt’s door, and Wyatt says, dad? Jim says, it’s dad now is it? and Wyatt says he’s sorry. Jim says, really? Wyatt is good; damn near believable. Wyatt tells Jim to send him upstate. He’ll go to rehab. He doesn’t know what got into him. Jim says, he’s an addict. That’s what got into him. Say it. Wyatt says, he’s an addict, and Jim says, that needs help. Say it. Wyatt says he’s an addict who needs help. Jim says Wyatt tried to kill him, and Wyatt says he’s so glad he didn’t. Jim says, really? and Wyatt says, just help him. Please. He can’t stay in jail; send him to rehab. He’s sorry. Jim says because his sorry ass can’t stand prison. He told Wyatt the whole time. He swears, if Wyatt is lying… Wyatt says, he’s not, and Jim says, make him believe it. Say it one more time. Wyatt says, please, dad, and Jim says he’ll think about it. He needs to process this information. He’s going to check on Wyatt’s mother. Wyatt says, I love you, dad, and Jim says, yeah, right. Wyatt asks Jim to tell him that he loves him, and Jim says, I love you, you sick little SOB. Wyatt says he’s sorry, and Jim says, so is he. He leaves, and Wyatt says, wish you would die, you bastard.

David walks into Jim’s room, and Jim tells him, Wyatt apparently tried to kill himself. David says, damn, and Jim says, tell him about it. David says, sorry to hear it, and Jim says David’s son is doing better than his. Does he think Jeffrey would check on Wyatt? David says, sure, and Jim says he doesn’t know what to do. If Wyatt stays in a cell, it will kill him. He’s like his old man. David suggests taking Wyatt to a facility to get help, and Jim says, that’s the plan. He wanted Wyatt to pay for what he did; that son of a bitch shot him. David says, there have to be consequences, and Jim says, of course, but please ask Jeffrey to see him. David says he’ll call from his car, and Jim says his plans for Veronica are in place. David’s not changing his mind, is he? David says, never, and Jim asks if he’s sure. David wishes he could kill the bitch twice, and Jim laughs, saying, that’s the old David he knows. He needs to see Kathryn first, and David says he’ll drive. Jim thanks him, and they leave.

Jeffrey looks at a sleeping Madison and smiles. He moves around, trying to wake Madison up, and Madison opens his eyes. Jeffrey says he slept in, and Madison says Jeffrey is thinking about his mother. Jeffrey denies it at first, then admits he was. Madison mentioned she might come after him. Madison says, it’s okay. Jeffrey is worth it. Let him deal with it. Jeffrey says, what about Colby? and Madison says she doesn’t know Colby can be more of a bitch than she is. He puts his money on Colby. He tells Jeffrey, stop worrying about her, but Jeffrey says how can he not? He wonders what she’s doing, and Madison says, hanging upside down, getting some rest. Jeffrey laughs, and Madison says, she’s plotting; he can feel it. They’re going to have to stay one step ahead of her. Jeffrey says, impossible, and Madison says Jeffrey talks about her like she’s a witch. Jeffrey says, she is. The way she thinks and calculates, it’s brilliant. Madison says, it’s insane, and Jeffrey asks if most brilliant people aren’t insane. Madison says, no, but she is. He says he doesn’t want to spend the morning talking about Jeffrey’s mother, and Jeffrey’s phone is ringing. Jeffrey answers, and David asks, did he interrupt anything? Hearing it, Madison laughs, and Jeffrey asks what that’s supposed to mean. David ignores the question, and says he wanted to know if Jeffrey would go by and see Wyatt. He tried to hurt himself. Jeffrey asks if Wyatt is okay, and David says, he will be. Jeffrey says he needs to tell David something, but David says they’ll talk at home. He’ll be there in a few hours. Madison asks if everything is all right, and Jeffrey says, no, but it will be. Madison snuggles on Jeffrey, who frets.  

Jeffrey walks into Wyatt’s room, and Wyatt is surprised they let Jeffrey in; they’re not letting him have visitors. Jeffrey says he’s there, and Wyatt asks if the guard is outside. Jeffrey says, no, and Wyatt thinks maybe he could make a run for it. Jeffrey says, not in restraints, and Wyatt asks how he is. Jeffrey says, okay; how about Wyatt? Wyatt says, they won’t let him out, and Jeffrey says he tried to kill his father. Wyatt laughs, and Jeffrey asks why he’s smiling. Wyatt says he’s trying to get sent to rehab, but Jeffrey says, it doesn’t work like that. The DA is pressing charges. Wyatt says his father won’t, but Jeffrey says he will. Wyatt says his father is weak. He’s playing the son card, like he’s sad, and like he cares. As soon as he goes to rehab, Wyatt is done with him. His father took all his money, and ruined his life. Jeffrey says, a lot of people come from nothing, and Wyatt’s parents gave him a lot. Wyatt asks if Jeffrey thinks money means anything, but Jeffrey says he thinks opportunity makes a difference. Wyatt says, whatever (no doubt having learned that from Jim), and Jeffrey says he sees nothing’s changed. He just wanted to see Wyatt, and now he’s just going to leave. Wyatt says, tell him something, and Jeffrey says, here we go. Wyatt wants Jeffrey to listen, and says he doesn’t want to be Jeffrey’s friend anymore. Jeffrey asks if they were still friends, and Wyatt says he doesn’t want to hear from Jeffrey or see him again. Jeffrey says, okay, and Wyatt says he hopes Jeffrey rots in hell with his parents. Jeffrey says he’ll do that, but just so Wyatt knows, his words don’t hurt Jeffrey anymore. Wyatt needs to grow the hell up. Wyatt says, just get out, and Jeffrey says he’s changed his number. Wyatt says he’s changed his too, and Jeffrey says, to a prison number. Wyatt says, well, it changed. He hates Jeffrey anyway. Jeffrey says he’s out, and leaves. Wyatt struggles against the restraints, and says, bastard. Get him out of this sh*thole. He yells for the nurse.

Kathryn goes into the visitor room, and sees Jim. She asks how Wyatt is, and Jim says, I’m fine, thanks. She repeats, how is Wyatt? and Jim says, he’s fine. She doesn’t see him in a sling? Kathryn sweetly says, hello, Jim. How are you? and he says, hello, Kate; just swell. How is she? She says, just peachy, and he says she looks like hell. She says, that makes two of them, and he says, seriously, how the hell is she? She says she should ask him, and he says he knows she loves him. Kathryn says, that’s a stretch, but she hates him a little less. He asks how that happened, and she says when she saw him dying. She was actually celebrating. He says, that’s a remarkable coincidence. He was disappointed when he heard her voice. He thought he’d finally gotten rid of her. He tells her, let’s cut the BS, and talk about her being in there. He has a workaround. She says, good. She hopes he’s faster than Marty; she’s tired of being there. He says, it’s liable to cost them money, but he’s working on it. She says, good.

Kathryn says she doesn’t want Jim going to the house, and he says he’ll go to the loft. She says, he can’t do that; she sold it. He says, and he can’t go house? She says she’s having the house cleaned, and tells him, go to the hotel. It has a revolving door with his name on it. He says, excellent idea, and she says, son of a bitch. He’s enjoying this. She wishes she could go to a hotel, and he’s rubbing her face in it. He says, soon enough, and laughs. He tells her, Marty is working on her bail, and she says, tell him to work faster. He says she doesn’t have a choice, and she says he’s enjoying it. He says she has no idea, and she asks how solid George’s case is. He says, very solid, and asks how it feels. She says, how the hell does he think it feels? and he says he knows exactly how it feels. Here’s the part where she says he was right. She says she’d rather die first, but he says she can say it; try it. Jim, gee, golly, you were right. She says, Jim, gee, golly, she’s going to punch him in the shoulder. She tells him to get out, and calls for the guard. He says she can’t call a guard. It’s not like room service. A guard comes to the door, and Jim says she looks so good in orange. She says she’d like to go back to her cell, and tells Jim, she’s still Kathryn Cryer. Don’t forget it. As she’s leaving, he says, Jim, gee, golly, you were right. How hard is that, big orange? He laughs, pushes his chair back in, and leaves. Because everyone just wanders around this jail.

David brings Jim back to the house, and asks if he’s sure he wants to stay there. Jim says, yeah, and tells David that Kathryn said she had it cleaned. He wanted to stay at the loft, but she said she sold it. He asks David to get the door, and David lets Jim in. Jim points, and says, that’s where he did it. David says, it could have been worse, and Jim says, don’t remind him. David says, it’s all clean now, and Jim says his blood is in this house, literally. He doesn’t know what to do with that kid of his. David says he doesn’t have to make a decision right now. Wyatt is in the hospital. Take a night and rest. Jim says, easy for him to say, and David says he has his own stuff. Veronica is always lurking in the shadows. Jim says he’ll handle her; it won’t be long. David hopes not, and says, she has protection, but Jim says his guy will strike fast and hard, at exactly the right time, What he thinks is funny, is remembering how David once protected her. David says, after what she did to Erica and his son, the only thing he feels for her is blind rage. Jim suggests the drink a toast to blind rage, but David says Jim is on pain pills. Jim says he’s been shot. He’s not scared of a few pain pills and bourbon. David says, it’s not good, and Jim says he’ll be the judge of that; pun intended. David gets the decanter of bourbon and glasses, telling Jim, the only reason he’s getting it is because he needs it. He asks how Kathryn is, and Jim says, not well. He thinks she’s at her breaking point. David says, hmm, and Jim asks what that means. David says, it’s time for their ships to rise, and Jim says he can’t take Kathryn out. He hates the bitch, but something about her amuses him. She says she’s got him by the balls and purse strings, and he needs those purse strings right now. He’s out $8 million. David says, Candace? He should have had her killed and been done. Jim says, she’s untouchable right now; the Malone family. Vinny is running it, and he knows how angry Vinny can get. Candace did a favor for Mama Rose and her tall grandson. David says, Mitch and Benny, and Jim says she threatened to take whatever he has left – whatever that could possibly be – if he didn’t leave Candace alone and forget the money. David wonders if Jim asked Rose or Vinny, but Jim says, if he asks her, it will be like calling her grandson a liar, and it won’t go well for him. David says, maybe that’s part of Mitch’s plan, but Jim says, it’s too big a gamble. David says, maybe he’s right, and Jim says, maybe not. Is there a way David can find out? David says he’ll ask around. He tells Jim, there’s another play in hand – Kathryn. Jim says he’s not taking her out of the game, but David says, hear him out. Kathryn is in jail. As her husband, Jim should have access to everything. Jim says he already thought about that, and David asks why he hasn’t done anything about it. Jim says he didn’t think it was worth risking throwing $8 million away. David asks, what about looking into getting control of the estate while she’s away? and Jim says, everything is in her name, and there’s an ironclad prenup. David says, convince her to give him power of attorney. If she’s convicted, she could lose everything. Jim thinks he can do that, and David says, he’s a snake oil charmer. Jim says he knew he kept David around for a reason. This is a good idea. David says Jim has to be careful, and tells him, stop drinking. Jim wants to take the decanter upstairs, and David asks if he can get there on his own. Jim says, no, but he’s not on his own. David helps Jim up, and Jim says he likes painkillers. They’re good. He laughs, and David helps him up the stairs.

Hanna is sitting on the bed, looking through paperwork, when Jim and David walk in. Jim asks, what the hell is she doing?

She didn’t hear them come in? Just saying.

Next time – the power is shifting between those who have, and those who have not. Get ready. It’s all been building up to this. Jim tells David to deal with it, Hanna clocks David, Celine tells Veronica that Jim is trying to get her fired, and Marty tells Kathryn that there’s nothing he can do for her.
