General Hospital

Carly sees someone swimming in the pool, and says, the pool’s closed. Drew gets out, and sexy music plays while she stares at him. Erm… He says he was hoping the owner could bend the rules a little for him.

Nina asks if everything’s all right, and Sonny says, it’s just business. It wasn’t anything urgent. He thanks her for waiting, and she says, it would have been rude, not to mention immature, if she’d just walked away in a huff (or a minute and a huff. sorry). He asks if she was tempted, and she says, a little bit. A part of her doesn’t want to hear his answer about the kiss he gave her, but then there’s another part of her that really needs to know, because it means something to her. Did he kiss her because he got into a fight with his ex-wife?

At a drive-in (!), Anna asks if Valentin has ever been here before, but he says he hasn’t had the pleasure. Her? She says, no. All the drive-in theaters she’s seen have been in movies she’s watched. He says, she wanted him to surprise her, and she says, he did. He’s kind of like this movie. He says, old or notorious? and she says, he seems to be black and white, but in reality, he’s a complex balance of shadows. She got that out of a book on Hitchcock. He says he likes it; it makes him sound classic, yet timeless. She says, this is the part where Ingrid Bergman realizes she’s been poisoned, and he says, like the old days, huh? She says, only if your nostalgic about someone being drugged in an undercover operation, and he says he thinks it’s part of their charm tonight.

Trina tells Josslyn that they have to get out of the bar before the cops check their IDs. The instigator, aka tall bald guy, is taken away, and the cops talk to bar guy. Josslyn says, now’s their chance, but as they start to leave, Rory comes in, and asks what they’re doing here.

Selina walks into The Savoy, and asks why Brad called her back here. He says, there’s a problem with the game. Linc comes out of the back and goes to the bar, while Brook stares daggers at him. He asks for a double vodka on the rocks, and Brook starts to stomp over to him, but Chase intercepts her and asks if she’s going somewhere. Brad tells Selina, Judge Abbott canceled at the last minute, so he let another player come in. She says, without vetting him first? Linc tells N’neka to put it on his tab, when Britt comes up to the bar. She says she was here earlier, and realized she can’t find her phone. Did someone turn it in? N’neka says she’ll check, and leaves. Linc says he hopes she finds Britt’s phone. He hates to see a lady in distress.

In the hallway, Brad tells Selina, when he saw the guy’s bankroll, he figured it would be okay. He knew the password. She says, just spit it out; what happened? and Cody comes out, counting a load of cash.

Sonny says, when he kissed Nina, he wasn’t thinking about Carly, and she says, but he did fight with Carly. He says, yeah. Carly and Michael think he turned his back on his family. She says, that’s ridiculous. His family is everything to him. He says, right, and when he went on the stand, it wasn’t against Michael; he was just there to tell the truth. She says, and he was gracious enough to forgive her, and doesn’t hold her responsible anymore for keeping his identity a secret. He says, the thing is, he always believed and still believes Wiley needs to have her in his life. She thanks him, and says, Carly considers that a betrayal. He says, in Carly’s mind, the biggest betrayal was, when Baldwin was going after Michael, he stood by Nina. Nina says she has to be honest. When he did that, she was surprised too.

Drew tells Carly that he just needed a quick swim. It was a crazy day at Aurora, and he didn’t get a chance to work out. She asks, how quick? and he says, only a mile. Navy SEAL. He hopes she isn’t going to revoke his membership, but she says, he’s exactly the distraction she needed after the day she’s had. He says, bad? and she says, beyond. Frustrating… heartbreaking… deeply disappointing, but also the best.

Trina tells Rory that she and Josslyn were tracking down proof Esme framed her, and he says, in a bar known for criminal activity? Trina says, just the place Esme would go to for an unregistered phone, and Josslyn promises they’ll explain everything later, but right now, they need to get out of here. An officer calls Rory over, and asks if he has ID on Josslyn and Trina.

Chase asks, what happened to their hanging out by the pool? and Brook says she’s sorry, but this was too good of a chance to pass up. Linc had a card from The Savoy, with what was obviously a password written on the back. He says, a strong indicator that something shady was going on, and she says, yes, Mr. Sarcasm. This is her chance to catch Linc in the act, and blackmail him into signing the rights to her songs back over to her. He says, there’s so much illegal in what she just said to him, he doesn’t know where to start.

Linc says he knows Britt. She’s the woman in the GIF that’s gone viral; soaking wet… climbing out of the pool. She says, yes, that’s her, and he says, she has a rockin’ bod. It’s like the beauty from the Black Lagoon. They might be able to recreate that in one of his artist’s videos. She says, excuse me? and he says, oh, did he not mention he’s a music producer?

Selina asks, is this the last minute player? and Cody says, they meet again. All the players raved about her in there. She says, did they? and he says, Brad here was kind enough to let him sit in on the game. Texas Hold ‘Em high stakes is exactly how he likes to play. It’s a shame the game ended so early. She says, isn’t it, and he says, thanks for the hospitality. Goodnight. He starts to leave, and she says, Li! A big guy comes in, and she says she’d like a word with this man – outside.

Anna says she loves this movie, and Valentin says he’s never known anyone so thrilled with this film. She says, come on. Cary Grant rescues Ingrid Bergman. The Nazis are thwarted, and the moment he goes back inside, Claude Reins is a dead man. What’s not to love? It’s so good. He says, if she likes this film, she’s going to love the second feature, and she says, he’s not going to tell her what it is? He says she wanted to be surprised. There’s a concession stand that sells bon-bons. A little pedestrian for such a momentous occasion. She says, a drive-in’s momentous? but he says, not the drive-in; us. Her agreeing to an official first date. She says, that is momentous, and he says, so – he brings out a basket from the backseat – he brought charcuterie, and caviar. She says, it’s lovely… and he says, what? She tells him, she loves popcorn at the movies, and he reaches in the back, this time pulling out a bag of popcorn, saying, it’s a good thing he brought some. This is from Japan, salted with umami, and out of this world. She says, popcorn needs to have butter, and he says he’s usually much better at this. She says, bullseye on the movie, and remembering she loves Hitchcock; that’s all perfect. He says, the master of suspense. He never got more romantic than Notorious. She says, yeah, a libeled lady and a charismatic rogue on a spy mission, longing for each other. He says, what’s not to love?

Brook says, of course (🍷) blackmailing Linc is illegal; that’s why she kept him out of it. He says, she ditched him, and she says, for his own good. He’s so close to being reinstated. He says, she asked for his help, and as soon as he agreed, she bailed on him, so she could do it on her own. Not that she got anywhere. She says she begs to differ. Something went way, way wrong. Linc came out of the back room fuming, and when he gets mad, he gets stupid. And when Linc gets stupid, which is most of the time, Linc makes mistakes, and that’s when they’ve got him.

Linc tells Britt, he manages some of the best talent in the business, and she says, he’s rolling in it? He says, private planes, yachts… and she says, he has more than one? He says, that depends where he’s heading, and she pretends to be excited, saying, which she imagines is all over the world. He says, baby, you would not believe the life I’ve lived, and she says she bets he’s seen some things. He says he’s nothing like the guys she’s used to, and she says, so true.

Li tosses Cody into an alleyway, and Cody says, what’s there to talk about? He bought into the game. He played well, he won, fair and square. Selina asks, what’s his definition of fair? What’s indisputable is, he cleaned out all of her other players in eight hands. Cody says, that’s just how the cards fell, and Selina says, when the game goes on all night, the players’ inhibitions wear down, and the stakes go up. If they lose, they ask for credit. Cody says, which she’s more than happy to extend at a far interest rate, and she says, he cut into her profits, she’ll need to recoup her losses, which will come out of his winnings. He says, now who’s not playing fair? and she says something in Mandarin. Li punches Cody in the stomach, and Cody falls to the ground, doubled over.

Nina says, she and Sonny haven’t addressed what Scotty did to Michael on the stand, and he asks if she knew what Scotty was going to do, but she says she didn’t. Scotty told her that he was going to bring up Claudia Zaccara’s death, but she had no idea about the details of how Claudia died. All she knows is, Scotty said he was going to hit Michael with his criminal record. Sonny says, so it sounds like she didn’t know how bad Scotty was going to get with Michael, and she says she didn’t, but she’s not going to get any medals either. Kidnapping Avery, and again, keeping his existence in Nixon Falls a secret. He says, let him guess. Scotty told her, in order to secure visitation with Wiley, she was going to have to level the playing field. She says, make Michael look so bad, she’d look better by comparison, and he says, listen. He just wants her to know, Michael had no intention of killing Claudia. He was just a teenager, and he was defending his little sister. She says she knows that now, and watching Scotty go after him on the stand made her stomach sink. In part because of what she set in motion, and in part because she was sure she’d lose him over it.

Drew says, it’s kind of nice having the place to themselves, and Carly says, one of the perks of co-owning the MetroCourt. He says, she knows he’s only hanging out for the perks, right? and she says she’s under no illusion. They sit, and he says he thinks he knows what she meant when she said, bad, but for the best. It’s when something crappy happens to you, but you needed it. It gives you a wake-up call and shifts your whole perspective. She says, that’s exactly what happened to her today. She hadn’t talked to Sonny since Nina’s visitation hearing. She won’t go into the gory details, but Nina and her lawyer accused Michael of being violent towards women. Can he believe that? He says he heard that, and he’s so incredibly sorry. She says, it was awful, but what was truly indefensible was Sonny. He was in the court room; he heard everything. And when it was over, he comforted Nina. Drew says, she must have felt so betrayed, and she says, yeah, and furious, and devastated. And now, weirdly grateful.

Nina says, when Scotty got done with Michael, and the judge called for a recess because she wanted to talk to Scotty and Diane in chambers, she stood up and felt so alone. She turned around, and there Sonny was, on her side. He looked so stoic, and she had no idea what he was feeling. She thought he was going to tear into her. He says, there was a lot of stuff happening. He was angry with Scotty for going after Michael, and he was disappointed in Michael for going after her. It was a lot. She says she wanted to play fair. She wanted to let everyone just cool down until Michael and Willow would allow her to see Wiley, but Michael and Willow didn’t play fair. He says, even before the five-part feature in The Invader? and she says, they were never going to cool down. Wiley would have been an adult before she was allowed to see him, and by that time, he’d be so brainwashed, he’d never want to see her. Sonny says, she had every right to go for the petition for visitation, and she says she’s made a lot of mistakes, but so has Michael. Nobody is perfect here. He takes her hand, and says, when he saw her in court, she was hurting a lot. All he could think about was making her feel better. She says she just wanted to explain to him what happened. She felt like her skin was ripped off; all her faults were exposed… and there he was. He touched her cheek – she starts to cry, and he gives her his hanky – and that small act of compassion meant more to her than he’ll ever know.

Drew says, Carly is grateful Sonny sided with Nina? and she says, the Sonny she knew would have defended his son, and the fact that he didn’t, brought it all home to her in a way nothing else could. The man she married, the Sonny she loved, the father of her kids, is gone. For as long as she’s known Sonny, he could make her angrier than anyone, and what surprised her today was the anger she didn’t feel. That’s when she realized… He says, her wake-up call, and she says, what Sonny did in that courtroom severed the last tie. They’re Donna’s parents, and will always co-exist for her sake, but they live separate lives. She’s been saying she’s free for a while, but today, she feels free. He tells her, congratulations, and she thanks him. He says, they should celebrate.

Rory says he needs to see their IDs, and Trina says, which one? The real one that says she’s underage, or the fake one that says she’s 23 and her name is Jane? Josslyn says, look, Trina can’t get arrested, even if it’s a misdemeanor. The Title IX investigation came back against her. He says he’s sorry to hear that, and Trina says, thanks, but it turns out it’s the least of her worries. Josslyn tells him, coming here was entirely her idea; she dragged Trina along. Please, just bust her and let Trina go. She hands him her fake ID.

Li kicks Cody’s ass some more, and Selina says, enough. The money. Li reaches in Cody’s pocket, and Cody says, they can’t take his buy-in money; he brought it to the table. She says he cost her far more than she recouped tonight. He’s still in her dept. He says, she can’t leave him with nothing, and she says she’s not completely heartless, and pulls out a bill, tossing it toward him. She tells Li, let’s go, and they leave. Brad tells Cody, sorry, Selina calls to him, and he goes.

Linc says he doesn’t want to intimidate Britt or anything. He is rich and famous, but deep down, he’s just a regular guy. She says, regular just doesn’t do it for her; neither does rich and famous. She’s into a very particular type. He asks her to enlighten him, and she says, the kind who keeps his head when literal bullets are flying, who’s not overly fussy in the rule of law, and who doesn’t give a damn about pop culture. The kind of guy who can take a punch, and laugh about it. N’neka brings out a phone, and asks if it’s Britt’s, and Britt thanks her, taking it. She tells Linc, by the way, he’s a loser, even if he’s rich and famous, and walks away.

Chase says, if Britt does something illegal, and Linc can prove it, she’ll be in a far worse position than when she started. She says, look at Linc’s expression. Britt blew him off and he is livid. Now’s her chance. She heads for the bar.

Coming out of the club, Britt sees Cody in the alley.

Carly says she’s up for celebrating; what does Drew suggest? He says, how about a night swim? but she says she didn’t bring her suit. He says, they could skinny dip, but she says she owns the hotel. People could come, so… He says he doesn’t think anyone is around, and the pool’s closed. He won’t tell. She says, raincheck? and he says, absolutely. He says, at least put her feet in the water? and sits at the edge of the pool. He holds out his hand, and she says, she can do that, taking it.

Sonny tells Nina, Carly saw him in the courtroom, and that’s what they were fighting about. He guesses she felt that gesture of comfort meant he was okay with Scotty going after Michael. She says she’s so sorry she put him in that position, but he says, he doesn’t regret it. He was just doing what he felt he should do in the moment. She says, Carly can’t forgive him, but he says, she’s done, which is ironic because the divorce has been finalized for a while now. He guesses she doesn’t… She’s cutting the cord, except for Donna. He gets to see Donna as much as he wants. Nina says, no matter what Carly’s issues are, she’s first and foremost a mother. She’s never going to use Donna as a pawn. He says he never thought this would happen. He always thought he’d be connected to Carly, at least from the past and the kids… He flashes back to Carly saying he consoled the woman who initiated an attack on Michael, and she doesn’t know him anymore. He tells Nina, Carly said she doesn’t know who he is anymore, and he’s thinking, of course (🍷) she doesn’t. A lot has changed since Nixon Falls. He’s not the same person; he’s changed. And it seems like the only one who understands him in his life is Nina.

Rory says he’ll need Trina’s too, and the other officer tells Rory, the bouncer checks out. They step aside, and the officer says, his partner is waiting for him; they got a perp violating parole who needs processing at the station. Clear the scene; send everyone home. He leaves, and Rory goes back to Josslyn and Trina. Josslyn asks, what happens now? Is he going to arrest them? He says, technically, it’s not illegal to purchase a fake ID in the state of New York. Using one is more of a grey area; it’s up to the officer’s discretion whether or not he wants to file charges. Trina asks what his discretion is telling him, and he puts the fake ID’s in his pocket, saying, he’ll let them off with a warning, this time.

Cody coughs and groans. Britt picks up the bill, and says, did he lose something?

Brook tells Linc, what a coincidence. Long time, no see. He tells her, get lost. He’s expecting a call from Korea. She says, and there’s a bridge for sale in Brooklyn, and he says he should know better than to visit Port Charles. First, some cowboy took all his cash in a card game; then some woman doesn’t even have the sense to appreciate what he’s offering. His phone rings, and he says, this is it. He says, min-ho; ban nal… Yes, absolutely. All I Want is still available. Brook says, that’s her song, and Linc says, they will do a phenomenal interpretation, and he’s listened to plenty of boy bands. Might he say, theirs is the best in the K-Pop biz… Yeah, they can change the lyrics from him to her. They can change whatever they want; he owns the song. Brook grabs the phone, and he says, what the hell. She says, the song in question is no longer available. It’s caught up in a copyright lawsuit that could drag on for years. Bye. She hangs up, and Linc says, does she realize what she just did? She says she saved her song. He says he wants his phone back, and grabs her arm. Chase flies between them, separating them, and Linc says, if Chase doesn’t realize she’s using him, he’s dumber than he looks. He holds out his hand, and says, phone. Or he will sell her entire catalog to a porn producer he knows who’ll use it for soundtracks, She says, what a surprise; he knows a porn producer. Linc says, come to think of it, that’s a market she should explore. She can’t sing anymore, but there are other ways to perform, like lying on your back. Chase punches him in the face.

Anna’s phone dings, and she tells Valentin, sorry. She usually remembers to switch these things off. He asks if it’s important, but she says, it’s just work; it’ll keep. He asks if it’s anything to do with the Jennifer Smith case, and she wonders why he’s asking. He says, just curious. He offered his assistance, and she was strangely quiet. She says, it’s not likely she would need it. The WSB thinks the case is airtight. He says, she doesn’t agree? and she says, no. Jennifer insisted she had this French naval captain up in her room. He says, played by Gary Cooper? and she says she wishes. Anyway, they haven’t been able to locate him or confirm his identity. Valentin flashes back to pretending to be the captain, and says, he thinks he can still be of some use.

Nina tells Sonny, she’s sorry; she didn’t mean to get so emotional. He says he didn’t call her here for consolation, and she says, she knows. She can tell he’s hurting. Why doesn’t he talk to her? He says he’s tired of hurting. He’s tired of being angry and being sorry. This is who he is. Love him or hate him, with her, it seems to be enough. She says she’s tired of hurting too. She’s tired of the loss and regret. He makes her happy, and she wants to embrace that happiness. He asks how they start, and she kisses his hand, and says, slowly.

Carly and Drew eat ice cream cones, as they dangle their feet in the water. Carly says, this is perfect, and he says she doesn’t think his idea of a celebration is kind of lame? She says, sometimes the simplest things are the best. She’s hanging out with him on this gorgeous night, and her feet are in the swimming pool that she co-owns, and she’s got chunk of stock in a media company that’s soaring by the day. He says, a bigger chunk than she expected, but she says she knows a good thing when she sees it.

Britt sits Cody up, and asks what he did to deserve this. He says, this is how it goes when he’s on a winning streak, and she says, he gets beat up and left in an alley with $50? He says, his luck turns harder and faster than a bucking bronco, and she says, there he was, picturing the hot car he was going to buy, that place in Malibu. He says, a 200 acre spread in Wyoming. Nice place; has she ever been? He was going to buy some horses. She says, purebred? but he says, no, the price is too pricey. He was going to get some workhorses to take care of and ride… He closes his eyes, and she says, he may have a concussion, so stay with her. He says he’s not sleeping; he’s just resting his eyes. She says, then she’ll leave him to it. She starts to walk away, and says, damn Hippocratic Oath. First do no harm. She goes back to him, and says she’s a doctor, so first, she’s going to check his injuries. She’s warning him now; this is going to hurt. She moves his head and he groans. She checks his eyes.

Rory says, Trina and Josslyn were looking for a lead on Esme; did they find one? Trina says, yes and no, and Josslyn says, Esme framed Trina by planting the phone in Trina’s bag. Trina says, the phone she used to record the sex tape, and then send it out in an email blast. Josslyn says, they think they found the guy who sold her the phone, and Rory asks, who is he? Trina says, he was tending the bar when they got there; they don’t know his name. Josslyn says, he was about to ID Esme, but the fight broke out, and he slipped away. Trina says, but he works here, which means he’ll be back. Next time they’ll… Rory says, next time, they won’t be anywhere near here, and Josslyn says, they need to find the guy. Rory says, he’ll ask about the bartender. He’ll get a name and description, and he’ll run it. Rory’s phone beeps, and he says he’s got another call; disturbance in progress. How are they getting home? Josslyn says, a Ride Share; they’ll be here in ten minutes. He tells then, be sure not to miss it, and leaves.

Carly thanks Drew for the ice cream, and says, it was a great suggestion. He starts unbuttoning his shirt, and she asks what he’s doing. He says, what does she think he’s doing? He’s working off the ice cream. The mile he swam isn’t going to cut it. He gets in the pool, and she thanks him for the celebration. He tells her, who says it’s over? As far as he’s concerned, it’s just getting started.

Sonny says, he and Nina have been dancing around each other for a year at least, not to mention their time in Nixon Falls. How much slower can they go? She says she wants nothing more than to dive head first into a relationship with him, and he asks, what’s stopping her? She says, herself. The feeling she had in that courtroom when she stood up and saw him. They’re hot and heavy for each other now, but what happens to her when it fizzles out? She takes his hand, and says, he’s unlike any man she’s ever known, and she wants them to build something real between them. He says he appreciates it, but she’s not the only one who’s feeling alone. Carly and Michael cut him out of their life; he can’t rely on them. There is this connection they have, but if she wants to take it slow, he’s okay with that. She says, okay, and picks up her bag. He asks if she’s going home already, and she says she is, handing him back his hanky. He tells her to keep it to remember him, and she laughs, saying, okay. If she doesn’t leave now, she never will. She’ll call him. He says he’s looking forward to it, and she leaves.

Cody asks, will I live? and Britt says, his ribs are bruised, and maybe some are cracked. She recommends an x-ray. He says he’ll get right on that, as soon as he figures out how to stand up, and she says, for pity’s sake, lean on her. She helps him up, and he grunts and groans. She says he’s such a big baby. Is he the same guy who fell from the sky and into the MetroCourt pool without a bump? He says, she cushioned his fall, and she says, she’s parked over there; she’ll drive him to GH. He says, hospitals are pricey, and he’s down to his last fifty, but she says, she’s not going to leave him in the alley. He needs help. He says he knows who can help him, and they owe him.

Anna says, familiar with a lot of French captains, are we? and Valentin says, profiling 101. First of all, how do they know Jennifer didn’t just invent this gallant seafarer? She says, they know he exists because the hotel bartender saw him, and Valentin says, okay. This is where he suggests the captain’s involvement is incidental. Miss Smith is just implicating him as a red herring. She says, no more Hitchcock for him, but he says, it’s Occam’s Razor; the simplest explanation is usually the right one. She doesn’t want to admit her guilt, so she’s claiming innocence, and pointing the finger at some poor sap she met at the hotel bar. Anna says, perhaps, and he asks what she thinks happened, but she says she’s not sharing her theories with a civilian. He asks who she’s calling a civilian. They’ve worked together on plenty of her cases. She asks what he’s doing, and he says he’s trying to help her, but she says, he’s not. She thought this was too good to be true; is this really a date? Or is this whole drive-in, Hitchcock, charcuterie just a tactic to get information out of her?

Josslyn and Trina get in the car, and Josslyn says, how crazy was that? Trina says, the bar fight? The lead on Esme? Josslyn says, the cops showing up? Trina says, they were so close to getting the bartender to ID Esme, and Josslyn says, things could be worse. We could be in the back of a squad car, charged with misdemeanor use of a fake ID… Jane. Trina says, you’re right… Kara. Rory did us a solid tonight. Josslyn says, us? That had nothing to do with her. Rory did it for Trina. He likes her. Trina says she thinks he does.

At The Savoy, Rory asks, what happened here? and Linc says, he was attacked, assault and battery, and he’s pressing charges. Take statements from all the witnesses. Rory asks if N’neka saw the incident, and she says she’s afraid she did. He asks, who did what to whom?

Brook tells Chase, it’s all her fault; she feels awful. He says, he’s the one who lost his cool, and she says, he had every right to. Linc is such a slimeball. They’ll sneak out the back door, hole up at the mansion, and call the ELQ lawyers. They’ll get them out of this. She starts to leave, and asks if he isn’t coming. He says, it will only make things worse if he leaves the scene. He’ll be labeled a fugitive with an APB on his back.

Linc tells Rory, he was the victim of a brutal and unprovoked attack, but Rory says, according to Linc’s witness here – he indicates N’neka – Detective Chase threw the first and only punch. N’neka says, Linc collapsed like wet cardboard, and laughs. Linc says, exactly. Call an ambulance. Chase broke his jaw. Rory says, excuse him, and goes over to Chase. He says, Chase was on suspension when he joined the force, but he’s heard the stories. Chase says he bets. Rory’s heard the witness, and the victim who clearly wants to press charges. He turns around, putting his hands behind his back, and Brook says, no, no. no. He was provoked. Linc had it coming. Please don’t do this. Chase says, Brook… and Rory read Chase his rights, handcuffing him.

General Hospital

Ava lets herself into Windymere, and Nikolas pops out of the living room. She asks if he’s been lurking there until she came in, and he says, would that be so wrong? She wonders if he doesn’t have anything better to do than wait for her to come home, and she sees he has candles lit and champagne waiting in the living room. He asks, what’s better than spending time alone with his wife?

At the gallery, Trina says she gets how being productive could be important to Spencer, and he says, she always does. She says, not like Esme gets him though, right? She says she’ll leave him a to-do list, so he can get home to his phony, twisted witch he calls the love of his life. He says, Esme is anything but that, and Esme is about to walk in and stops. Trina says, anything but what? A twisted witch or the love of his life?

On the phone at the hospital, Carly says she’s fine. They discharged her, but she’s going to wait around to see if Harmony is all right. For Willow’s sake. Her whole world has been turned upside down tonight.

Willow and Michael go into the chapel, and she tells him not to feel like he has to stay with her. She just wants to make sure her mom is okay. He says he texted Josslyn. She’s on her way, so he’s not going anywhere. Unless she wants to be alone. She says she wants him here with her, and they hug. She wonders what her mother was doing; walking down a road at night in the woods by herself. It doesn’t make any sense. He says, hopefully, they’ll know more soon, and she says, she and her mother were just getting close. If she doesn’t make it, Willow will never forgive herself for pushing her away.

Sasha digs in her bag, and takes out her pillbox, but it’s empty. Gladys says, there she is. Sasha left so fast, her shoes left skidmarks. Sasha says, Willow didn’t see her, did she? but Gladys says, no. The poor thing is a mess. Michael took her to the chapel; they were headed in that direction. It’s probably going to be a while before the doctors can tell her anything about her mom. Unless of course (🍷)… Unless it’s not as bad as they thought. She suggests they sit, but Sasha says she has to get out of here. Brando comes in and she runs to him. He tells her, it’s okay, he’s got her, but she says, no, it’s not okay. She might have killed Willow’s mother.

Nikolas pours champagne, and says, he shouldn’t have taken for granted that she was coming home. She asks if he’s wooing her, and he says, what if he is? Dinner might have been a bust, but there’s still plenty of time for dessert. They clink glass, but she says, it’s not going to work, and hands hers back. He asks, why? and she says she’s made her position clear. As long as Esme is here… He says, she isn’t here, and Ava says, since when? He says, Laura stopped by earlier. She got Sonny to give his word nothing will happen to Esme. Now Esme can go back to the mainland, and they can devote all of their time to each other.

Esme continues to listen in, and Spencer says, things with Esme are complicated, but Trina says, they’re not. Would he like her to explain what’s going on here? He’s keeping her on the hook. She let herself believe that he can be a better person. He misses that feeling, and now he’s trying to reel her in. He says, that’s not… and she says, it’s the only explanation she can come up with. He’s giving her mixed signals. He says, he’s not, and she asks what that jealous act was before. He says, he is not jealous of that guy, and she says, so what? Who cares if he’s jealous or not? He made his choice. Deal with it. Just remember, he threw their friendship away for some psycho girlfriend. Esme comes out, and says, she’s not the psycho; Trina is.

Josslyn comes into the waiting area and hugs Carly. Carly asks what she’s doing here, and Josslyn tells her, Michael said she was in the ER. Is she okay? Carly says she’s fine, and Josslyn says, Michael told her that Willow’s mom got in a car accident. Was she involved? Carly says she wasn’t there when Harmony got hit by the car, and Josslyn says, thank God. She was freaking out the whole way here. She doesn’t know what she’d do if anything happened to Carly. Carly says, it didn’t, and Josslyn asks, then what was she doing in the ER?

Willow tells Michael, you’d think at a time like this, she’d be able to focus on the good times, but with her and her mother, there are no good times not touched by the bad. It’s impossible to separate the two. He puts his arm around her, and says, she’s strong enough to forgive Harmony, and see that she genuinely wanted to make up for a lifetime of… He doesn’t have to tell her. She says, she’s accepted her mom allowed a lot of horrible things to happen to her because Shiloh manipulated her, and even though it took her a long time to forgive Harmony, Harmony never gave up on her. For the first time in a very long time, she started to feel her mother’s love. She’s not ready to be without it again. He holds her hands, and she cries.

Brando asks if Sasha wants to tell him what happened, and she says, what happened is Willow’s mom is fighting for her life, and it’s all her fault. Gladys says, it’s not all her fault, and Brando suggests she start from the beginning. They sit down, and Sasha says, this photographer, this paparazzi guy, started taking pictures of her at the MetroCourt. Gladys says, she’s underselling it; this jerk was harassing her. Sasha says, it was too much, so they left. Next thing they knew, this guy was chasing them down in his car. He was flashing his high beams, and she couldn’t see anything. Gladys says, and this woman ran right into the middle of the road, and Sasha says, she tried to swerve, but she didn’t have time. Brando says, she didn’t do anything wrong; it was an accident. Gladys tells her, that’s what she’s been saying. If that sleazeball hadn’t been coming after them, they wouldn’t have been driving so fast down that stretch of road. They should sue him; so should Willow. Michael’s got lawyers. Brando says, what he doesn’t understand is why the photographer was chasing her. She flashes back to the photographer catching her with the pills, and says, he had his reasons.

Carly says, and Harmony had a needle, and managed to inject her, and Josslyn says, oh God. Carly says she was in the back of her own SUV when she woke up, and heard Harmony and Alexis arguing. When she got out of the car, they were parked on Ramalamadingdong Point, and she jumped Harmony. They fought, and Harmony took off running when she heard Alexis call 9-1-1. Josslyn asks if Alexis is okay, and Carly says, she is; Sam took her home earlier. Alexis is okay, but Harmony jumped in front of a car. She saw Harmony when they brought her to the hospital. She and Alexis weren’t there when Harmony was hit, and she doesn’t know when she was hit. They stayed and waited for the cops, and the paramedics brought them here. Josslyn says she’s confused. Why did Harmony attack Carly in the first place? Carly flashes back to confronting Harmony about Neil’s papers, and saying, this is what Harmony meant that she wishes Willow was hers. Willow isn’t her biological daughter. Carly tells Josslyn, she found out something Harmony was desperately trying to keep secret. Something Willow does not know.

Michael says, one thing he knows about Willow’s mom is, she’s a fighter. There’s nothing she won’t do to fight her way back to Willow. Willow says, when she escaped from Dawn of Day, she would tell herself that she didn’t need a mother. At the time, she was right, but when her mother turned against Shiloh, she began to change, to make amends, and more and more she became the mother she should have been all along. He says, she tried, no question, and Willow says, she’s beginning to understand why some women say they’ll always need their mother, because right now, she needs hers.

Brando asks what reason the photographer had for chasing Sasha, and Gladys says she stole his memory card. He says, she did what? Why would she do that? Gladys says, he wouldn’t stop taking pictures of Sasha, even though every last one of us told him to knock it off. Sasha was getting extremely upset, and she wasn’t about to let some parasite with a camera exploit her daughter-in-law. Sasha says, Willow isn’t going to care about any of that. All that matters is, she hit Willow’s mother with her car, and she might die. Brando tells her, like he said, it was a terrible accident. She didn’t mean to do this. Willow will understand. Sasha says, what if Harmony doesn’t make it? Willow will never forgive her, and she’ll never forgive herself. Brando says, they don’t have any control over that, so let’s not do what ifs. Right now, she just needs to tell Willow what happened. Gladys says, does she? Willow has enough on her plate; Sasha’s a wreck. Can’t it wait? Sasha says, no, it can’t. The only reason she came here is because Willow deserves to hear the truth from her, but she doesn’t know if she can face her. Brando says, there’s no right or wrong here, and Gladys says she doesn’t know if she’d put it like that. Sasha cries, and Brando says, whatever she chooses to do, he’s behind her 100%, but if she goes to tell Willow right now, she’s the strongest person he knows. He knows she can do this. She says, let’s go, and they leave together.

Trina says, she’s the psycho? Says the girl who’s been lurking in the shadows for who knows how long. Spencer asks what Esme is doing here, and Esme says, it’s bad enough Trina has half of Port Charles blaming her for Cam and Joss’s sad little sex tape. Trina says, only half? She’ll have to step up her game. (Ha-ha! Sounds like something I’d say.) Esme says, even though all the evidence points to Trina, Trina’s lies got her kidnapped by Sonny Corinthos. Spencer says, which is why she’s supposed to be back at Windymere, right now. Esme says, that’s what she came to tell him. His grandmother, the mayor, personally intervened on her behalf, and forced Sonny to back down. She’s safe now. Spencer says, that’s great, and Trina says, she’d call it a useless waste of cement. Esme says, thank God Trina didn’t manage to poison everyone against her. How does it feel to know people finally see through her good girl act?

Ava asks why Sonny backed down, and Nikolas says, his mother didn’t tell him Sonny’s rationale, but he was here when she told Esme. So Esme is aware the threat is over. Ava asks when she’s moving out, and he doesn’t say anything. She says, tell her that he’s not letting Esme stay, and he says, they just haven’t set a date for her to move out yet. She says, they have a staff. They can pack up her stuff, put it on the launch, and it can be waiting for her on the pier tonight. He says, Esme isn’t going wait for a launch to come back from town and find her luggage waiting, and she says, so Esme went to the mainland. He says, to tell Spencer the good news, and she says, the good news is that she can stay there. He says, there’s the matter of how she’ll support herself, and Ava says, she has a trust fund. He says, she’s only given a pittance, and Ava says, she was sent to school in Paris. Her life has not been the stuff of Dickens. He says he promises, Esme will leave Windymere and Spoon Island soon. Ava says, she better, and he says, the best part is, once she’s gone, all their problems go with her. Ava caresses his face, saying, my sweet beautiful husband… She smacks him lightly, and says, no they don’t. He says, the root of their problem is that he invited Esme to move in without consulting her, but she says, the roots go far deeper than that. He says, when he invited Esme to stay here, they were planning on renewing their vows. Is she telling him she wasn’t happy? She says, she was, but when he told Esme and Spencer that they could move in, it made her realize she was ignoring some very real issues. He says, such as? Start at the top; what’s their biggest issue? She says she doesn’t trust him. Don’t look so surprised. He doesn’t trust her either. He says, this isn’t about trust. It’s about the fact that he chose his son. That’s what she has an issue with, isn’t it?

Esme says, Trina refuses to take the blame for what she did to her so-called friends, and Spencer says, enough, but she says she’s not going to stand for it anymore. She tells Trina, mark her words, the next time Trina lies about her, there will be consequences. Trina says, Esme talks a good game, but know this. Trina sees her, and soon one day, everyone is going to see her for who she really is, a needy entitled psychopath, who hurts everyone around them, and wonders where they all went. She’ll be all alone with no one left to fool, except maybe that idiot (meaning Spencer). Now she’s going to put this away, and when she comes back, Esme won’t be here. Because she’s trespassing.

Carly tells Josslyn, Harmony is still in surgery, but they don’t think she’s going to make it. Josslyn says, Carly seems pretty worried about someone who just tried to kill her, and Carly says, she’s worried about Willow. She’s got enough on her mind right now. Maybe she should wait to tell her, but Jordan knows. The last thing she wants is for Willow to find out during the course of the investigation, but they probably won’t question Willow tonight, so maybe she should wait. Josslyn says, that’s one way to look at it, and Carly asks, what’s the other way? Josslyn says, can telling Willow really make things much worse?

Michael asks if there’s anything Willow needs, and she says, right now, she needs answers. She thinks she’s strong enough to get them. Michael says, Josslyn is here. So they should go look for her and his mom. Maybe they have an update on Harmony. As they’re leaving, Brando and Sasha walk in, and Michael says, he guesses they heard about Harmony. Brando says, they’re aware of what happened, and Willow says, they were going to check on how her mom was doing. Sasha says, she’s sorry. She knows this is a terrible time, but she needs to talk to Willow alone. Willow says, sure, and Michael says he’ll check on her mom. Willow says she’ll join him later, and Sasha thanks Brando for being here. He says, where else would he be? He kisses her forehead, says she’s got this, and leaves. Willow asks what Sasha needs to talk about.

Michael tells Brando, he saw his mom in the ER and texted Josslyn. Brando asks why Carly was in the ER, and Michael says, she didn’t tell him, but she seemed okay, so he focused on Willow. Brando says, rough night all around. Keep him posted. He’s going to wait for Sasha. As Michael is about to get into the elevator, Smoltz comes along, and says, if it isn’t the husband of the Face of Deception. His sources tell him that Brando’s wife ran down a pedestrian tonight. Any comment?

Josslyn says she’s sorry, but she knows Carly will make the best choice for Willow. Carly says she appreciates Josslyn’s vote of confidence, when Gladys comes by. Carly asks what she’s doing here. Are Sasha and Brando okay? Gladys says, physically, yes. She’s fine too. Carly says she can see that, and Josslyn’s phone rings. She leaves to take the call, and Gladys asks if there’s any word on Harmony. Is she going to pull through? Carly says she doesn’t know. Why is Gladys asking? Gladys says, because she cares deeply about the suffering of others. Carly might want to look into that sometime. Also, Sasha was the one who ran over Harmony. Carly says, oh my God, and Gladys says, believe her, she knows. She was in the car. Carly asks where Sasha is, and Gladys says, Brando took her to see Willow. She’s dreading what’s going to happen when Sasha tells her.

Willow asks how Sasha found out about her mom; did Carly call her? Sasha says, no. She knows because… It’s so hard to say. She and Gladys were driving on a back road. She was driving, and a guy was chasing them; it’s not important why. The point is, he was flashing his high beams in her rearview, and it was blinding her. She couldn’t see and the road was dark. Out of nowhere, someone ran in front of her car. She couldn’t see who it was until she get out to help, and she’s so sorry, it was Willow’s mother. Well, here’s a thought. Why don’t she and Gladys flip the script? Since the headlights were blinding, technically, it’s the jerkface photographer’s fault.

Spencer tells Esme not to let Trina get to her, but she says, Trina isn’t the one getting to her. Why is it that every time she sees him with Trina, they’re having a moment of some kind? He says, it wasn’t a moment. He didn’t say anything he wouldn’t have said in front of her. She says, even the part where he was jealous about some guy? He says, not jealous, annoyed. When he got here, she was talking to the cop who arrested him. Esme asks, why? and he says, the whole sex tape mess has the media harassing her. She says, gee too bad, and he says, he doesn’t hate that guy because he’s jealous; he hates him because he’s a jerk. She says, even so, she can’t help thinking history is repeating itself, but he says, trust him, it’s not. She’s the one he has eyes on.

Brando asks who this is, and Michael tells Smoltz, this is not a good time. Brando says, Michael knows this creep? and Smoltz says, this creep is happens to be doing Mr. Corinthos a favor, and Michael says, Smoltz is a reporter, and he and Willow are cooperating with him on a feature. Smoltz says he’s always on the lookout for the next good story. He takes out his phone, and says, Mr. Gilmore – Brando says, Corbin – about this pedestrian his wife ran down… Brando says, no comment, and Smoltz says, it’s better for him to get a quote from Sasha herself, or as his source called her, the Face of Collision. Brando lunges for him, but Michael gets between them, and pushes Brando back. Smoltz says, he has rights under the First Amendment, and Brando says, he fought in the US Military to protect Smoltz’s rights; he’s well aware of what they are. His First Amendment rights only protect him from government censorship. Michael runs a media company; does he have that correct? Michael says, he sure does, and Brando says he thought so. He gets close to Smoltz, and asks if he looks like the government. It’s a simple question. Smoltz says, no, and Brando says, which means, the First Amendment won’t protect Smoltz if he catches him even breathing the same air as his wife. Nothing personal, but he’ll make sure Smoltz is incapable of ever writing any story ever again. He doubts the other journalists will miss him, or find him if they did. Understood? Smoltz nods and leaves, and Michael asks, what happened to Sasha?

Willow says, Sasha is the one who hit her mom? and Sasha swears it was an accident. She’s so sorry. She’d do anything, give anything, to make it so it didn’t happen. Is there anything she can do? That’s so stupid. Of course (🍷) there’s nothing, but she’s here for Willow if Willow needs anything. She’s probably the last person Willow wants to see, so she’s just going to go. Willow tells her, wait. Was she with Carly and Alexis? Sasha says, what? and Willow says, Carly and Alexis were with her mom before the accident, but Sasha says, no. She was coming from the MetroCourt. Willow wants to ask Sasha a question. It might seem a little strange, but did it seem like her mom jumped in front of Sasha’s car on purpose? Sasha says she doesn’t know; it happened so fast. It felt more like Willow’s mom just didn’t see her. Willow cries, and Sasha says she knows Willow and her mom haven’t had the easiest relationship, but they were making amends. She’s so sorry this happened because of her. Willow is the last person who deserves this. She asks if she should get Michael, and Willow says, she just wants some of this, any of this, to make sense.

Gladys tells Carly that she’s worried about Sasha. She doesn’t know how much more Sasha can take. Carly says, as long as she’s known Sasha, she’s weathered crisis after crisis, and come back tougher every time. Gladys says, that was before. Since her grandson died, Sasha’s been an open wound. If Sasha killed her friend’s mother, what is she going to do? Carly says, they’ll get her through it, and Gladys says, Carly didn’t see Sasha with that photographer. Sasha has dealt with photographers before, and knows how to handle the paparazzi when they’re being jerks, but tonight she was a different person; panicked, desperate, and the way she snapped… Josslyn comes back, and Gladys excuses herself. Josslyn asks if everything is okay with Brando and Sasha, and Carly says she just needs a hug. They hug, and Josslyn asks if Carly is sure she’s okay. Carly says, it’s just been a night. So much devastation. She wants Josslyn to know she loves her, and she’s so grateful to have her. They hug again.

Ava says, she and Spencer will never be each other’s favorite people, but he’s Nikolas’s son. She meant it when she said she’d keep their issues out of her and Nikolas’s relationship. Esme though, was never part of that agreement. He says, as long as Esme is important to Spencer, she’s part of that agreement, but Ava says, not as long as Esme is a threat to Trina, she’s not. This isn’t about Spencer and Esme; this is about her and Nikolas. He says, she’s right. It’s about their marriage and their partnership. He should have consulted her before inviting Esme to live there, but when she had a problem with Esme, she went to Sonny instead of consulting him. She asks what there was to consult him about. He was giving that horrid little monster the benefit of the doubt, while she was framing Trina for something even her so-called victims know she didn’t do. He says, so she’s trying to punish him, and she says, not without good reason. He says, and her mystery plans tonight, did they involve exploring divorce? She says, of course (🍷) not. That ship sailed weeks ago. He says, when was this? and she says, the day he invited Esme into their home. He says, she can go on about not trusting him, but how is he supposed to trust her when she always has one foot out the door? She says, if he wants her to stop straddling the threshold, then stop pushing her away. He says, at least give him a heads up. Should he be expecting divorce papers soon? She says, not yet. She couldn’t go through with it. He asks, why, when she can’t trust their toxic manipulative marriage? Why the hell is she still here? She says, because she loves him, and he says he doesn’t believe it. She says, believe this, and kisses him.

Esme takes Spencer’s hands, and thanks him, saying, he’s the only one for her too. They hug, and Trina sees, but steps back. Esme says she feels close to him, and he says he’s sorry it’s taken him so long to get back on track. He thanks her for letting him take it slow, but she says she doesn’t care how long it takes, just as long as they do. He says, it’s their second chance; he wants to do things right. She says, he’s not the problem. When she thinks of how close Trina came to destroying them… He says, Esme… but she says she can’t help it. That conniving little witch drove a wedge between them. She wants a front row seat at Trina’s trial. She wants to see Trina’s face when they lock her away. She can’t wait for everyone at school to see what a backstabbing bitch… He says, stop talking about Trina like that, and she says, why? Trina continues to listen.

Brando tells Michael, Sasha’s the one who hit Harmony, and Michael asks, how? Brando says, some photographer was harassing her at the MetroCourt. He chased after her, and she was speeding to get away. Harmony ran into the middle of the road. Michael says, oh my God. How is Sasha doing? Brando says, she’s devastated. It’s enough with an accident like that, but what she’s really having trouble with is hurting Willow. Michael says, as terrible as all this is, he hopes Willow will have some answers. Sasha might not have the whole story, but he has the feeling his mom does.

Gladys presses the elevator button a bunch of times, takes the memory card out of her purse, and looks at it. The elevator comes, and she gets in.

Josslyn asks if Carly is going to talk to Willow now or later, and Carly asks what Josslyn thinks. Josslyn says, if it was her, she’d probably want to know right away, but she’d understand if Carly thinks it’s piling too much on Willow. Carly says, Josslyn doesn’t? and Josslyn says, she does, but there’s never going to be a good time.

Esme asks if Spencer is still defending Trina, but he says, for God’s sake. He doesn’t care about Trina; he cares about her. If Trina leans over any further, she’ll be in the room, and Esme says, then why? Spencer says, all of this anger Esme is holding in can’t be good for her. She’s tied in knots. She’s scowling; her forehead is scrunching up. The both of them almost laugh, and he says, he’s serious. All this stress she’s carrying around, let it go. She says, she’ll try, but she just hates that Trina is getting away with everything. He asks how she thinks he feels, but her and Trina getting in each other’s face is making it worse. She asks what she’s supposed to do. Trina is walking around free, blaming her. He tells her to look at him. Does she trust him? She says, of course (🍷), and he tells her, then trust him when he says this is all going to be over soon, and when it is, she and Trina will never have to see each other ever again. He hugs her, and Trina slips back, pondering this in the hallway.

Nikolas and Ava start getting busy on the couch, but she says, they can’t do this. She gets up and says, their problems aren’t going to go away if they keep distracting themselves with sex. He says, this isn’t a diversion. It’s them expressing their love. They do love each other, right? She says, they do, and he says, if they have problems, they can fix them. She says, they can’t fix them with sex, and he says, then just tell him what he has to do to make it good, and he’ll do it. She says she doesn’t know, and he says, while she’s figuring it out, let him prove that she can trust him. She says, trust is earned; it’s built over time. And if he thinks he can fix things with one or two grand gestures, she’s sorry; he can’t. She leaves, and he blows out the candles.

Sasha tells Willow that she wishes she could make it okay. All she can say is, it was a horrible, senseless accident. Willow wonders what her mom was doing there in the first place. Why was she in the woods, stumbling into the road? Carly comes in, and says, she can answer that. She asks Sasha if she can have minute with Willow. They need talk alone. Willow takes Sasha’s hand for a moment, and Sasha leaves.

On Monday, Austin says, if Maxie doesn’t want to hang out, all she has to do is say so; Spinelli says someone will be the first to know: Nina asks if Sonny is looking for someone; and Carly tells Willow to prepare herself.

General Hospital

On the footbridge, Victor looks at the Three of Cups tarot card. He hears Drew coming, and slips it into his jacket pocket. Drew says, here he is. Why was it so important they meet in person? Victor says he sees they’re dispensing with the pleasantries, and Drew says he thinks he made it pretty clear what he thinks about Victor. Victor says, yet here Drew stands. Is he alone? Drew asks, why? Does Victor have something up his sleeve as usual?

Sam and Dante are in a nearby van with surveillance equipment. They’re having a problem hearing, and Sam asks if Dante wants to go over the checklist again. He says, the wireless transmitter is functioning, the firmware is current… She says, what about the software on his tablet? and he says he updated it this morning. She can’t hear anything? She says, no, and if she can’t hear Drew, he can’t hear them. He says, that means Drew is on his own with Victor.

Portia literally runs into Jordan at the hospital, and says she’s sorry; she should watch where she’s going. Jordan says, you and me both, and Portia asks if everything is okay. Jordan says she’s just there for a check-up; she feels pretty good. Portia says, that’s what they like to hear, and Jordan says she should be going. She starts to leave, but Portia asks if she has time for one question. There’s something that’s been weighing on her mind. Jordan says, sure, and Portia asks if she considers Spencer Cassadine dangerous.

Spencer says, Trina must be psychic; he was just thinking about her. She says she’s been thinking about him too, and he says he was hoping she’d visit. She says, life’s been hectic, and he says he heard about the sex tape. She says, it’s been rough on Cam, but she can’t even begin to describe what Joss is going through. He says, what about her? He knows she and Joss are best friends, so Joss’s pain must be her pain. She says, which is why she’s here, and he says, so her first visit isn’t a social call. She says, this isn’t a social call, and this isn’t just her first visit. It’s also her last.

At the hospital, Britt asks if Carly is okay, and Carly says she’s fine. Britt says she thought they made peace on Valentine’s Day, or was it just a temporary truce? Carly says, no, they’re fine. She just has a lot going on. Britt says, Jason, and Carly says, what about Jason? Britt says she thought Carly knew. Monica’s decided to have Jason legally declared dead.

There’s a knock at the penthouse door, and Sonny shuffles over to answer it. It’s Nina, and he says, she wants to know if he talked to Michael, right? She comes in, and says, he’s right. Did he? He says, yeah, Michael and Willow, and she says she guesses she’s too late then. She was having second thoughts. He asks, why? and she says she just didn’t want to cause him anymore trouble. She asks how it went, and he says, Michael and Willow don’t want her to see Wiley. End of discussion. She thanks him for trying, and says she’ll call Martin Grey and tell him to start the paperwork… Sonny swipes some stuff off the table, startling Nina, and tells her, he said he’d fix it, and he will.

Jordan says, if Portia is asking for her personal opinion on Spencer, she hasn’t really formed one. Portia says, and her professional one? and Jordan says, not so much opinion as fact. Spencer Cassadine is a convicted felon, currently serving a custodial sentence at Spring Ridge. He’s never been charged with a violent infraction. Portia says, he admitted to stalking, harassing, and damaging property. That sounds like someone capable of violence. Jordan says, if she’s talking about setting Ava Jerome’s car on fire, Spencer had an alibi. Portia says, which brings her straight to his girlfriend Esme Prince. Why exactly wasn’t she charged? Jordan says, it’s complicated, but may she ask, why all the questions about Spencer and Esme? Portia says she needs to know the risks involved for someone that’s in their lives. Curtis comes out of the elevator, and Jordan asks if this is about Trina. Curtis asks, what happened to Trina?

Spencer says, this is Trina’s first and last visit because he’s getting out soon, but she says, no, it’s because of his girlfriend. As long as Esme’s in his life – she takes the book he gave her out of her bag – she can’t be. He says he wants to discuss this with her, but right now is not a good time, and she asks, when is a good time? Joss and Cam told her that he avoided this conversation at the cabin too. They sit, and he says he’s not avoiding the conversation, but Esme is here. She interns at Spring Ridge for her psychology class. Trina says, he’s never going to change, and he asks what that’s supposed to mean? She says, it means, no matter how many horrible things Esme does, he keeps trying to make her happy. It’s been very apparent he’s made Esme the priority since she first got here. Correction, since she first showed herself. Esme is about to walk in, and stops. Trina says, who knows how long Spencer and Esme were lurking around Port Charles, leaving creepy things for children, and he says, that is not… He made some horrible mistakes. That’s why he’s in here, to pay for them. She says, Esme should be the one paying; she’s the one who torched a car. Esme listens from behind a door, and Trina says, Esme took a step back and Spencer took the fall, and he’s okay with that. Just like he’s okay with the fact that Esme taped Joss and Cam having sex, and showed it to the entire world. He says, she’s got it all wrong, but she says she has it all right. Which is why she’s giving him this. She holds out the book, and says, take it. She doesn’t want it anymore. Esme smiles.

Dante says he doesn’t understand. The Wi-Fi signal is garbage. He checked it yesterday and it was totally fine. Sam says she knew she should have called Spinelli, but he says, they don’t need Spinelli. He just needs some time to sort this out. She says, they don’t have any time. Maybe they should just leave; move the van, find a new spot. He says she’s right. It rained and the wet leaves are interfering with the Wi-Fi signal. She wonders why she didn’t think of that, and he says, he’ll move the van a few feet, and they’ll get the signal lout and clear. She tells him, hurry up. They need to know what’s going on between Drew and Victor on that bridge.

Drew says, Victor told him that he wanted to discuss ELQ. What difference does it make if he came alone? Why did they need to have this conversation in private? Victor says, they’re here to discuss sensitive financial matters, and Drew says, if Victor didn’t want an audience for that, why did he bring his attack dog? Yeah, he surveilled the area before he came out in the open; all that Navy SEAL training is pretty ingrained. Victor says, all right, Yohan, he’s on to you. Might as well join us. Yohan stands next to Victor, and Victor says, there are those who might mistake his motives, but Drew says he doesn’t think any of them are mistaken. Victor says, Yohan is his insurance policy. Victor flashes back to telling Yohan that they’ll have to lure Drew to a secluded location, and activate the condition, and Yohan saying Drew figured out what he was doing the last time. If it happens again, there’ll be no denying it. Victor says Yohan makes an excellent point. It will be a terrible waste, but if the conditioning doesn’t work this time, Drew will have to be eliminated. In the present, Victor starts to slide the card out of his pocket, and Drew says, Victor’s henchman is there to protect him, but if this meeting goes sideways, who’s going to protect Yohan?

Britt tells Carly, it’s not a done deal. Monica has to petition the court, and the judge might make her wait the full seven years before declaring Jason legally dead. Carly says she doesn’t understand. It’s only been three months; why is Monica doing this now? Britt says, Carly will have to ask Monica, but she thinks Jason’s kids need closure. Carly says, and Monica told her? and Britt says, only because she was on Cassadine Island when Jason was killed. Monica might need her to provide a statement for the declaration. Carly asks if she will, and Britt says, of course (🍷), whatever Monica needs. Carly says she guesses it’s official. She’ll have to live the rest of her life without her best friend.

Sonny says he didn’t mean to yell, and Nina says, they can talk about this another time. She has to get out of here. She heads for the door, and he follows, saying, it won’t happen again. She asks how she knows that. He’s obviously drunk, and angry. How does she know what he’s going to do? He says he’s not angry. He’s had a couple of bad days. Can she just come in? She says she doesn’t know what’s going on in his life. She wants to help him, but she can’t put herself at risk. He says she knows him… but she says, no. She knew Mike. He says she’s right. Mike would have never scared her like that. She tells him, she shouldn’t have said that, but he says, she was being honest. She misses Mike; so does he. She says, he misses Mike? She comes back in, closes the door, and says, what part? He says, Mike wasn’t very complicated; obviously he had no history. Mike didn’t have a best friend who was buried in rubble in a tunnel, never recovered his body, and now he’s being declared legally dead. She says she didn’t know… and he says, Mike didn’t have a wife who left him, and a son who blames him for the break-up of his family. Mike didn’t have a stepfather – he starts to cry, but pulls himself together and continues – who used to get drunk and beat his mother. Deke was an animal; Sonny never wanted to be anything like him. And now he can see Deke reflected in her eyes.

Jordan asks if Spencer and Esme were threatening Trina, but Portia says, no. She shouldn’t have brought it up. Trina wouldn’t appreciate Portia meddling in her life anyway. Curtis says, it’s not meddling to show concern. In fact, if Portia is worried, maybe Jordan can help. Jordan says she can at least look into Spencer and Esme, and Portia says, please don’t do that. It’s just that Trina is dealing with some friend drama right now. Curtis says, but she’s doing okay in classes, still enjoying her courses? and Portia says she is. Jordan’s phone dings, and she says her appointment’s been pushed back thirty minutes. She’s going to grab a bite in the cafeteria. Curtis asks if she’s okay, and Jordan says, it’s routine; everything is fine. She tells Portia to please reach out if she needs any help, and leaves.

Spencer says he’s not taking that book. Esme continues to listen, and takes out her phone. Spencer says, Trina loves Richard Molineux’s work and she says she did. (I honestly don’t know if that’s the right name for the artist, but close enough), Esme looks at the video of Cameron and Josslyn, and Spencer asks Trina, what changed? She says, her perspective, about a lot of things, starting with the fact she accepted the book under false pretenses. She thought they were friends. He says, aren’t they? and she says, friends have each other’s backs, no matter what the cost. He says he’d do anything for her, and she says, except stop asking him to lie for her, like she did to Joss and Cam and his dad for weeks, not telling them about him being in Port Charles before he said he was. And he swore that he was sorry, and would never put her in that position again, until the other day at the cemetery when he asked her to lie to the Police Commissioner for him. Which is bad on him, but worse on her because she did it. He says, but it all worked out, and she says, what if it hadn’t? What if she had gotten caught? He committed the crime, but his family has enough money to keep him out of trouble; Uncle Victor would have been there with the fix. But her future, her dreams, everything she’s worked so hard for, she put on the line to cover for him, and all he can do is get her a book? Well, no thanks. He wants to prove he cares? Leave his girlfriend. Esme keeps listening, and he says, she wants him to break up with Esme for her? She says she wants him to leave Esme because she’s responsible for filming Cam and Joss. He tells her, Esme says she is, and she says, he believes her? He says, no, he doesn’t, and Esme quietly comes in, but their backs are to her. He says, she would never hurt Joss and Cam that way, and Esme sticks the phone in Trina’s bag and slips back out. He says, she would never tape something that private and personal, much less post it. Trina says, he knows deep down that Esme would, and did, and yet he still chooses to be with her. And that’s not something she can respect. She tries to hand him the book, and he says, he told her, it’s hers. She says, fine, and gets up, leaving the book on the table. Goodbye, Spencer. He says, please don’t walk out on him. If she does, he’ll always wonder. She says, wonder what?

Britt says, accepting Jason’s death is hard, and Carly says, she’s just trying to adjust to the world without him, where she can’t turn to him or… There are so many times when it doesn’t feel like he’s gone, when it feels like he’s still here, and she has to remember all over again. Declaring him dead is like giving up on him. Britt says, they have to let him go, putting her hand on Carly’s arm. Carly says, has she? Britt is telling her to move on, but Britt’s not. Britt says, it’s a process, and they have to accept that what they had with Jason are now just memories. Carly says, what Britt had with Jason was a memory before she even left for Greece.

Dante gets goes to the back of the van, and says, anything? Sam says she’ll never doubt him again, and tells Drew, if he can hear her, cough. He does, and Sam tells Dante, okay. Now hopefully, Victor shows him the tarot card. Dante says, that puts them back in business.

Victor says, nothing is going sideways. They’re just here for a friendly, informative meeting. Drew says, that sounds lovely. Let’s get to it, shall we? He said he wanted to discuss Valentin’s ELQ shares. Now what? Victor says, when he called, Drew was adamant about not wanting to meet with him, yet here he is, eager to hear about voting shares. Drew says, ELQ is his daughter’s birthright. What concerns Scout, concerns him. Victor says, Valentin is in charge of the company. Brook deceived Victor’s son in the worst way possible just to get ahold of his shares. He wonders what other schemes the Quartermaines are hatching to get back ELQ. Drew says, does Victor really think if he knew that he’d tell him? and Victor takes out the card. Drew asks if it’s another tarot card. Did Victor go out and buy a whole deck from the local fortune teller? Victor chuckles, and says, this isn’t any old tarot card. This is the card. The one Peter August used to control Drew. He turns the card around, and says, you are active, and Drew says, reporting for duty. Yohan says, Victor did it, and Victor says, so it seems, but they have to be sure. He tells Drew, throw Yohan over the side of the bridge.

Sonny tells Nina, he never wants anybody he cares about to be afraid of him. Does she forgive him? She says she can forgive him, but it’s not the first time he lashed out. He says he knows; he grabbed her and hurt her. She says, he did, and he says he has no excuses. She says, he had to say goodbye to his friend Jason, on top of everything that’s happening with his family. It must be very painful. He says, ever since he came home, everybody he loves is just slipping through his fingers. He picks up his glass of scotch, and says, and this is not helping. She says, he’s right, and it’s good of him to recognize it doesn’t help, and he says, please don’t tell him that. Ever since he’s been taking bipolar medication, he’s been able to drink in moderation. She asks, what changed? and he says, ever since he came home, he’s been drinking a lot. She asks what he’s going to do about it.

Britt says, whatever. She thought Carly would want to know Monica’s plans. Carly says she’s sorry. She had no right to say that to Britt, and no right to take her anger and grief out on her. At the end of the hallway, Jordan stops and listens, and Carly says, she’s sorry. She’s just going through a lot right now. Hearing about Jason didn’t help. Britt says she’s sorry Carly is going through a divorce. She’s sure things have not been easy. Carly says, not for any of them. Josslyn is going through something really difficult, and she doesn’t know how to help her. This is the time she would turn to Jason. Britt says, Jason always had a way of making challenges seem easy to face, and Carly says, how many times she goes to call him, or a guy will come to the bar in the MetroCourt, wearing a black t-shirt. It just feels so final. Jordan walks up, and says, she’s so sorry about Jason. Carly thanks her, and says she’s going to go. She leaves, and Jordan tells Britt, it’s hard to accept the person you love isn’t coming back. Britt suggests they talk about happier news. She heard Jordan got a clean bill of health. Jordan says she did. Although she never would have chosen to go through it, her health scare was an important reminder, life’s not promised to everybody. Britt flexes her hand and says, doesn’t she know it.

Sam says, Victor just ordered Drew to kill Yohan. On the bridge, Yohan says, boss, don’t, and Dante says, Sam has to tell Drew to abort. Sam says, you mean blow his cover? No, they’ve got to see how this plays out. Dante says, they have no time, but she says, he’ll be able to sell this. He says, they can’t let this get out of hand, even if it does mean bringing down Victor. She says, it’s not going to come to that. They’re not going to another shot at this. She trusts Drew, and Dante has to trust her. On the bridge, Drew grabs Yohan, and shoves him toward the railing.

Portia and Curtis go to her office, and she says, now Esme blames Trina for filming Cameron and Josslyn, and putting it on the internet. He says, that’s insane; Trina would never do that. She says, of course (🍷) she wouldn’t. She doesn’t have a malicious bone in her body. He says, she’s kind, she’s generous, she’s just like her mother, which means she’s strong, and she can stand up to Esme. Portia says, she knows, but she can’t help wanting to protect Trina. She wants to put a smackdown on Esme, but she supposes it’s a bad idea. He says, sadly, yes, and she laughs. She says, there was some good news she wanted to share with him. She told Trina their plans to buy the beach house, and she seemed excited about it. He says, seemed, and Portia says, she told him, Trina is distracted. This whole friend drama thing, it’s taken its toll on her. He says, and Portia? but she says she’s fine. He says, what was done to Cameron and Josslyn was inexcusable, and Esme blaming Trina, despicable, but he knows her and he knows there’s something on her mind. What is it? She says, Trina’s inexplicable attachment to this Cassadine kid.

Spencer says he’ll always wonder… what Trina thought of the book. She says, it was inspiring, but she also felt let down. Esme listens again from behind the door and takes out her phone. Spencer asks, why? and Trina says, Richard Molineux is one of the reasons she got into modernism, even though Joss thinks his art is just a bunch of squiggles, which is what most people see. He says, but she saw beyond that; she saw beyond the squiggles. That is her talent, to understand true art. She says, the book allowed her to see pieces she never saw before. It was amazing; she felt closer to the artist. He says, but? and she says, but the book also provided professional criticism, very insightful stuff that exposed the artist’s limitations. He says, she once told him frailty is what makes us human. Isn’t there beauty in someone’s imperfections? She says, there can be. Only if someone recognizes those imperfections, and chooses to live up to their potential. He says, what if a person wants to do better, and just needs more time? It must seem so simple from the outside. All someone needs to do to live a better life is make different choices, better choices. But if it were that easy, wouldn’t the whole world be full of happy, fulfilled people? Esme looks confused, and makes a call to the PCPD Anonymous Tip Line. A recording says, all calls are confidential and will not be traced. Speak clearly after the tone. The line beeps, and Esme says she’s calling to report a case of revenge porn. She knows who uploaded the sex video of Josslyn Jax and Cameron Webber. I start laughing because, that’s really not how that works.

Sonny says, clearly he can’t drink like he used to. He guesses it just acts differently with the medication. I see an out of control plant on his coffee table, and think, if he just had the moss bowl🎍, his life would be so much better. Nina says, does the reason really matter? It seems to her, the important thing is, he can’t drink to prop himself up, or to dull his pain. He says, his stepdad used to just escape to the bottom of a whiskey bottle, and then that wasn’t enough. She says, he’s not his stepdad, and he tells her, like she said, he can’t keep using liquor as an excuse. He hands her his glass, and says, she can drink it, but she says, no thank you, and puts the glass aside. She asks if it’s going to be enough later. It’s not like Michael and Willow’s rejection is going to be the last piece of bad news he’s going to get. He says he can’t keep using booze as a crutch. He can’t do it anymore. He promises he’ll never hurt her again, and she says she wants to believe him, but it’s easier said than done. Can he dump the contents of the decanter in the sink? He says, there’s a first time for everything.

Portia says, Trina was twisting herself in knots trying to defend Spencer, and Curtis says, Trina’s loyal to her friends. She says, that’s the problem. Ever since Trina defended Spencer, she’s had to deal with all of his lies, and his vendetta against Ava, who just happens to be Trina’s mentor, and Trina’s own conflict, exposing him as the stalker. Spencer doesn’t deserve Trina’s loyalty. He says, and he’s sure Esme in Spencer’s life, makes Trina’s friendship with him even more fraught. She says, before Spencer came into Trina’s life, she was never self-conscious; she never second guessed her choices. Portia wishes Trina would just leave him alone and move on, but Curtis says, isn’t that Trina’s decision?

Trina tells Spencer, all the time in the world won’t help someone who’s not willing to grow. The book points out that Richard Molineux’s work stopped evolving in the last two decades of his career. He says, maybe something happened to him, something beyond his control, and she says, sometimes people are who they are, and they can’t change. He says, so that’s it then. She’s dropping her favorite artist and him. She doesn’t care about their friendship. She says, don’t give her those puppy dog eyes. She lied for him, she forgave him, she covered for him. She made stupid decisions for him, and he can’t even stand up for her against Esme’s ridiculous accusations. He says she’s right. He doesn’t deserve her friendship, but he needs it. He needs her not to give up on him. She tells him, it’s not too late to end things with Esme, and send her back to France or wherever she’s really from. He says he can’t do that. He’s all she has. Trina says, but if he keeps defending Esme, she’ll be all he has.

Yohan begs Victor to make Drew stop, and Victor says, all right. He tells Drew, enough; he’s proved himself. Let go. Dante looks at Sam, and Drew releases Yohan. Victor tells Drew that he needs information from Drew’s Navy SEAL days. He needs to know about Operation Demeter. Carly says, shut this down right now, and Dante says, what the hell is she doing here? Carly walks up to Victor, holding her phone out, and says, Drew won’t be telling him a damn thing. Let Drew go, or this streams live online. Victor tells Yohan, take Carly’s phone, but Drew steps between them, and says he doesn’t think so. Carly continues to film, and Victor says, Drew was never activated. Drew says, surprise, and Victor says, until next time, and leaves with Yohan. Drew asks what the hell Carly is doing here, and she says, you’re welcome. He says she has no idea what she’s done, and she says, besides saving him, what is he talking about? Dante and Sam run up on the bridge, and Dante asks where Victor is, but Drew says, he’s gone. Sam says, perfect timing, Carly, but Drew says, in all fairness, she had no idea. Carly asks if someone can please tell her what she’s missing here, and Drew says, their best chance to find out what Victor Cassadine is really up to. Um… you’d think that film might be worth something to the WSB.

Sonny walks out with the empty decanter, and Nina says, what he did wasn’t easy. He says he’s not an alcoholic, and doesn’t intend to become one. He’s going to keep drinking every so often, socially, but he just doesn’t want liquor in his house. Nina says he can fill the decanters up with candy, for Donna, Avery… and Wiley. She says she should go, and he says she doesn’t have to go. He can’t let her go… until he says this.

Jordan is approached by a reporter as she’s getting into the hospital elevator. He asks if she has any comment on the revenge porn story developing at PCU.

Spencer says he may not have Trina’s eye for art, but when he chose this book, he was struck by how rich the color palette was. It’s fun, exciting, fresh, like her. If she walks out on him, his world will turn grey. She says she has no choice, not if he refuses to see Esme for who she really is. He’s afraid of the truth, just like Richard Molineux was afraid to grow, and expand on his style. Esme stomps out, and asks if Trina is for real. How can she show her face here after what she did to her supposed friends?

Carly says she’s so sorry. Had she known she was stepping into an undercover operation, she never would have interfered. Drew says, forget it. He gave her enough information to get worried, but not enough for her to know they had it under control, but it’s not all bad news. They know what Victor is up to. Sam says, Operation Demeter? and Dante says, that’s something to go on. Sam says, and hopefully helps them stop Victor, and Carly says, before he realizes what hit him.

Spencer says, Esme, don’t, and she says, don’t what? Call Trina out? She tells Trina, the next time you have a fight with a friend, tell them to their face. Don’t tape them having sex and upload it. Trina says she’s not going to stand here and listen to this. She picks up her bag, and tells Spencer that she hopes he lives up to his potential. She walks out, and Esme says, can you believe her? She just ignored me and walked out. Spencer asks what Trina is supposed to say, and Esme says, how about I’m sorry or I’m wrong? Not that she would. She was way too focused on Spencer. She notices he’s holding the book, and asks if that’s the gift he gave her. He says, it was. Apparently, Trina doesn’t want anything from him. She says, not even friendship? and he turns away from her. She asks if that means Trina is out of his life.

Portia says, Spencer and Esme are trouble, plain and simple, and Curtis says he’s sure they are. And he’s sure she’s right, like his Aunt Stella was right about some of the knuckleheads he used to hang around when he was about Trina’s age. Portia says she bets Aunt Stella wasn’t shy about telling him what her opinion was, and he says, but he didn’t listen. He stayed close to those same knuckleheads, and didn’t care how much it dragged him down. She says, because he didn’t want to admit Aunt Stella might know better than him, and he says, after many hard knocks, he knew Aunt Stella was right, and he changed his class of friends. She says, message received, and thanks him. She says she’s going to keep her opinions to herself, and going to allow Trina to make her own decisions. He says, sounds good, but why does she look so worried? She says, mother’s intuition. She doesn’t know, she’s just afraid Trina’s in some trouble, and hopes she can protect Trina before it’s too late.

The reporter asks Jordan, is it true high profile individuals urged the PCPD to take over the investigation from the university officials? She tells him to contact the PCPD media liaison, and he asks if she can confirm Sonny Corinthos’s stepdaughter was the victim of revenge porn? The elevator opens, and he follows her in, asking her to give him something.

On the phone, Britt says she received a Society Set-Ups subscription as a gift. Her name is Britt Westbourne… No, actually she deleted the questionnaire; she never filled it out… No, she doesn’t need a refund. Actually, she was hoping they could resend the questionnaire. She’s ready to move forward.

Sonny says, the whole Wiley situation… and Nina says, they can revisit that conversation another day. He says, the point is, she can’t give up. Their grandson is lucky to have her in his corner. She thanks him for that, and he thanks her. He walks her to the door, they smile at each other, and she leaves.

Tomorrow, Shawn says Alexis is playing dirty, Michael’s patience is running thin, and Esme says she’s finally calling Spencer out with the truth.

One of my brushes with celebrity was William Hurt. I was working at the theater where he was doing a play, and while we didn’t have a lot of interaction, he was always very kind, and acknowledged everyone. In a twist, both he and my acting teacher William Hickey were up for Academy Awards the same year. Hurt won, Hickey didn’t, and I never watched the Oscars again after that. I knew it could never possibly be more exciting.

General Hospital

Portia tells Curtis to check out the double-sided fireplace, and outdoor space for entertaining. He says, and a big room for Trina in case she wants to escape dorm life, and she asks what he thinks. He tells her that he thinks it’s perfect, and takes it she agrees. She says she absolutely loves it and he says he absolutely loves her. She asks if they just found their new home, and he says, they might have. She squeals and hugs him, and they kiss. Jordan asks, what does it take for a girl to get a drink around here? Curtis says, Jordan, and she tells them hello.

Britt finds Nina in her office, and Nina apologizes for surprising her. Britt says, it’s fine, and asks if everything is okay. Nina says, no. She’s tired of Carly painting her as this homewrecking schemer. Everyone’s just standing in line, taking Carly’s side. She’s not blameless, she’s human, but Carly’s the one who rejected Sonny. The divorce is on Carly, not on Sonny, and it certainly isn’t on her. Britt asks if she feels better, and Nina says, thanks, a little. She just needed to say that out loud. She knows Britt has been on the receiving end of Carly’s special blend of malice, so she can sympathize. Britt says, not really.

On the phone, Anna says, it’s not that I don’t trust you; it’s just that I don’t trust you. Why meet there, of all places?… All right. She’s on her way, but if this is a trap, one of them will regret it, and it won’t be her.

Maxie says Austin’s friendship means a lot to her, and he says, how much? She says, like on a scale of one to ten? and he says, sure. There was a time not that long ago when they talked about being more than just friends. She says she remembers, and he says, but she said she wanted to focus on getting her then Louise, now Bailey Louise, back. Maxie says, and she is, and he says, right. So what is she going to focus on now? She kisses him.

Elizabeth opens the door to Betsy, and says she wasn’t expecting her. Betsy says, she needed to… and sees Finn. She says she thought Elizabeth would be alone, and starts to go, but Elizabeth says. Wait. Betsy’s clearly here for a reason. Just tell her what it is. Betsy says she wasn’t honest with Elizabeth before, and Elizabeth deserves the truth – all of it. Finn says, truth about what? and Betsy says, he’s the doctor, right? Elizabeth says, this is Dr. Hamilton Finn, a friend of hers, but Betsy already knows that. Betsy guesses she does, and Elizabeth says, Betsy told her that she deserved to know the truth. About what? Betsy notices the portrait, and takes in a sharp breath. She says, about why she’s here, and what she’s done.

Austin says, he shouldn’t have done that, and Maxie says she’s the one who kissed him. He says, that’s true, she did, and she says, should she not have? He says he’s wanted them to kiss since… He can’t pinpoint the exact moment, but quite a while now. She asks what stopped him, and he says, when they first met, she was under extreme duress from her life before they met. Then she was holding vigil for her lost daughter, even though she was hiding in plain sight from her psycho ex. Maxie says, and Austin was comforting her, and he says, he tried. He felt terrible about accidentally telling Victor something that helped him. Then, after her nut job ex was no longer a threat… She says she thinks the word he’s looking for is dead. Why didn’t he kiss her then? He says, when Peter died? She was in Europe. She says, since she got back, and he says he thought she might want a little time to process things. She asks, is he not trying to rush things, or trying to respect her feelings? He tells her, she says that like it’s a bad thing, but she says, not at all. If that’s really the reason. He asks, what other reason could there be? and she says, maybe he’s having second thoughts?

Curtis says he knew Jordan was coming back soon. How about giving a guy a heads up? He hugs her, and she says, ever since she got the okay from her doctors, all she’s been focusing on is getting back. He asks if TJ knows, and she says, he does, but she hasn’t seen him yet. She went straight to GH, but he was still in surgery. Portia says, isn’t that doctors for you? Always inconsiderate of people’s time. Jordan says she knows; what’s wrong with all of them? She says, it’s good to see Portia, and they hug. Portia says, it’s good to see Jordan too, and since she’s a doctor, she can’t help but ask how the recovery is going. Jordan says, as long as she doesn’t inhale a basement full of carbon monoxide again, she’s good to go. Portia says, once was good enough for her too, and tells Jordan that she looks absolutely wonderful. Jordan thanks her, and says she feels good. She’s sorry to interrupt things. She’ll catch up with them some other time. Curtis says she knows better than that, and pulls out a chair, but she says she’s meeting TJ and Stella for dinner. She thought… Never mind what she thought. They’re busy, so she’ll catch them later. Curtis tells her, wait.

Nina asks if Britt is on Carly’s side, but Britt says, absolutely not and Nina says she didn’t think so. Clearly, she was distracted in Nixon Falls with everything that was going on, but she gets the impression that Britt had a real connection with Jason. Then Carly swoops in, and the next thing you know, he’s marrying her. Britt says, yeah. That happened because Carly and Jason thought Sonny was dead. And that happened because of Nina. She’s not judging Nina. She’s done more than her share of scheming. She’s told lies that were just as damaging. Besides, they’re family. That promise they made at Nathan’s grave is one she wants to keep, so if anyone is coming for Nina, Britt has her back. Nina thanks her, and Britt says, as family, she feels justified to call BS when she hears it, and maybe Nina didn’t set out to wreck Carly’s marriage, but that’s what she did, and there’s bound to be fallout.

Anna walks into the ax throwing bar, and asks what this is about. Whatever game they’re playing, she’s had enough drama recently to last her a lifetime. So whatever game this is, just count her out. Obrecht picks an ax up off the table, and says she’s sorry, but she’s afraid Anna is all in now, up to her pretty little neck.

Elizabeth asks what Betsy has done now, and Betsy picks up a drawing from a stack of them. She asks if these are Elizabeth’s, but Elizabeth says, they’re Jake’s. Betsy says, the artistic one. Bobby wrote her all about him. He was so proud of Jake. She looks at the portrait, and says, maybe Jake will grow up to be as talented as Bobby was. Elizabeth says, Betsy was just about to tell them what she’s done, when the doorbell rings. It’s Dante and Sam, and Elizabeth says, perfect timing; come in. They remember Betsy. She was just about to tell them what she did, and why she did it. Dante says, they think they know why.

Austin says he’s not having second thoughts. He’s having a thought, then another thought, then another thought. He’s thinking that to respect somebody’s boundaries is a really nice thing to do. Maxie says, boundaries? and he says he figured she wanted some time and space after a solid year of fear and doubt. She says, he’s right. Space and time and boundaries, those are all usually good things. He says, but not this time? and she says, Peter kept her in a cage for a year, confined by his obsession. At long last, he’s finally gone, and she can do things that make her happy without worrying they’re going to jeopardize her children. So, no. She doesn’t think she needs boundaries. She’s ready to make up for lost time. Is he?

Portia says if Curtis and Jordan need to talk, she can step out, and Jordan asks why she’d step out. Curtis says she should stay. He didn’t want Jordan to hear this from someone else. Jordan says, they’ve been house hunting, together. She didn’t mean to eavesdrop, but she heard something about a double-sided fireplace and a nice big room for Trina. Sounds ideal. Portia says, it’s a little early to get their hearts set on anything; they haven’t even called the agent yet. Curtis says, they should move fast, and Jordan says, then do that. An opportunity like this, they don’t want to wait. Portia says, once Jordan is settled in, they should get together and grab some lunch, and Jordan says, absolutely. Maybe they can do her a favor. Portia says, name it, and Jordan says, Laura gave her a mini briefing of the criminal activity going on during her convalescence. Maybe they can catch her up on what the law abiding citizens have been doing.

Nina says Britt is right; she fell in love with a married man. It was a mistake, but she can’t be the only person in the world this has ever happened to. Carly insisted on this divorce; she rammed it through practically overnight. Britt says, correct her if she’s wrong, but that was after Carly found Nina and Sonny in bed together, and Nina says, they thought the marriage was over. Britt says, convenient, and Nina says she didn’t go to the Haunted Star intending to sleep with Sonny. All these feelings they’d been fighting for months, they couldn’t fight anymore. She’s sorry she hurt Carly, but she’s a good grandmother, and she sure as hell doesn’t think it should cost her grandson. Britt asks what this has to do with Wiley, and Nina says, Willow just informed her that there’s no clear path in her seeing Wiley. They want to shut her out of her grandson’s life.

Elizabeth introduces Sam and Dante to Betsy, saying, they’re friends. Betsy says, Sam is married to that man who hates her son – Jason. Is he here? Sam says, Jason passed away, and Betsy says she’s sorry for Sam’s loss. Sam thanks her, and Finn asks if she knows Dante. She says, yes. He’s the cop. Dante says, that’s right, and she asks if she’s in trouble. He says, no, nothing like that. He did notice her checking out the portrait. Does she like it? She says she loves it. Bobby painted that. Dante says, it was brought there; saved from a fire in his studio. A lot of strange things have been happening with Elizabeth and Franco’s belongings. Betsy says, what strange things? What’s going on? Dante says they were kind of hoping she could tell them, but she says she doesn’t know anything. What can she tell them? Dante says, maybe she could tell them why she was committed to a mental health facility recently? She asks how he knows that; that’s private. He says, it was part of a police record, and she says, right. She guesses it would be. He says, she was temporarily hospitalized, so that she wouldn’t hurt herself or someone else.

Obrecht says she hasn’t heard from Anna since she returned from Switzerland, her mutterland. She begins to sing in German, and Anna says, what’s happening? Obrecht says, it’s rude to interrupt the something-in-German song, and Anna asks why Obrecht thinks she should have heard from her? Obrecht says she sees, and Anna says, sees what? Obrecht says, their cathartic afternoon in the rage room bonding over their destructive empowerment meant nothing to Anna. Anna says, she wouldn’t call it nothing, and Obrecht says she thought they’d achieved a kind of breakthrough that day, and they might begin to put the past behind them. Anna says, okay, sure. She thought so too. Why is she here? Obrecht says, she thought that would be obvious, and lifts the ax.

Austin says he’s all for making up for lost time, and Maxie says, that’s great. But… He says, but she was just chased into a European forest like she was in some kind of Grimm’s fairytale. She says, she knows what she went through. She lived it. That’s even more of a reason to put it behind her. He says, right, but it would be all right if she didn’t want to rush into anything, and wanted to take her time. She says, oh, she understands now. He’s scared.

Jordan tells Portia that she’s not surprised Trina is going full steam at PCU. The gallery exhibit sounds amazing. Portia says, it was, and Curtis sits down with them. He says he knows Jordan asked about law abiding citizens, but… Jordan says she knew that would only last for so long. Who did what now? He asks what she’s heard about Sonny, and she says, Laura told her that he and Carly are over, but she didn’t get many details. He says, don’t worry, she will. Everybody’s talking about it. She says she also heard that Jason Morgan never came back from Greece. Curtis says, he’s missing, presumed dead. That was after he rescued Britt Westbourne and Liesl Obrecht, of all people. Jordan says, in spite of his faults, Jason was a remarkable person. There’s really no hope? He says, doesn’t look like any. He’s just glad Jason was able to rescue Drew. Jordan says she’s happy for Curtis. She knows he missed his friend. Curtis says, it’s really good having him back, and Jordan says, question. Why did she have to hear from TJ that Curtis’s father finally resurfaced after all these years? Curtis says, when Marshall came back, he didn’t want to talk about him or to him. He’s gradually getting used to having Marshall in his life; it’s a process. Jordan says she can’t wait to meet him. So, are there any other secrets out there? Anything else she should know? A good cop likes to be prepared. Her phone dings, and Curtis says, TJ? She says, yep, and she’s officially late. Again, good luck on the house. She knows they’ll be happy there. She leaves, and Curtis tells Portia, that went well, doesn’t she think? Outside the club door, Jordan pauses going down the stairs.

Nina says she’s gone over and beyond avoiding a legal battle, but they’re leaving her no choice, and Britt asks if she’s sure about that. The more Nina escalates things, the more Michael and Willow are likely to come back at her twice as hard. Nina says she gets it, but it’s not just them. She admits, her interactions with them are at an all-time low, but it’s also Carly. Carly doesn’t want her to have a relationship with Wiley at all. Carly can dress it up as much as she wants, but it’s retaliation, plain and simple. Britt says she’s stopping Nina there, not because what she’s saying is untrue, but because what she’s hearing Nina tell herself is that, Nina’s right and she’s the victim, and Carly’s wrong and she’s the bad guy. The more Nina locks in to that kind of thinking, the less likelihood of a compromise. Nina says she tried to compromise, and she still doesn’t see her grandson, and Britt says, one more consideration. Sonny may be divorced, but Nina is starting a war against his ex-wife and his son. That could put a real crimp in her romance. Nina says, so Britt thinks she shouldn’t go to court, and Britt says she thinks Nina needs to be honest with herself about what she can gain, and what she stands to lose. Britt’s phone beeps, and she says she has a patient. Nina thanks Britt for talking to her. It’s not what she wanted to hear, but what she needed to hear. Britt says, anytime.

Anna says, that was a very good shot, and Obrecht says she’s been practicing. Anna says she still has explain what this is about, and Obrecht says, she needed privacy to discuss a détente, a peace between them. Anna says, really? Given their history? Obrecht says, their overall history has been contentious, complex, and Anna says, an understatement. Obrecht says, but their recent history has been more constructive and straightforward. Anna in the northern alps of her mutterland… Anna says, she’s not going to sing again, is she? and Obrecht says, and she in Port Charles, their mutually adopted home. Together, they were able to locate Maxie, and bring her home safely to her daughter. Anna says, a lot of people helped, but yes, Obrecht was one of them. Obrecht says she wishes she could have been there when Peter met his end, and Anna says, it was necessary. It’s not something she takes any joy in. Obrecht says, of course (🍷) Anna doesn’t, but she does, and Anna says, Obrecht does have every right, given what Peter did to her. Obrecht says, the most entitled to see Peter die was Jason Morgan. Perhaps Jason can torment Peter in the afterlife, yeah? Anna says she’s forever in awe of what Obrecht considers comforting thoughts, and Obrecht says, but Anna understands it. And in her own way, Anna understands Obrecht, and Obrecht understands Anna. Anna says, what if they do? and Obrecht says, what does she say to a new beginning?

Elizabeth asks why Betsy didn’t tell them she was admitted to a mental health clinic, and Betsy says, because it’s embarrassing. Finn says she doesn’t have to be embarrassed, and Sam says, no one’s there to judge her. Finn says, they just want to know the truth about why she came here, and Elizabeth says, she was just about to tell them. Betsy says, was she? She’s having trouble now. Dante says, maybe he can ask her a few questions to get her back on track, and she hesitantly agrees. He asks her to have a seat, and they sit on the couch. Dante says, she didn’t go to Franco’s grave today, did she? She shakes her head, and says, she wanted to, but she couldn’t. From the moment she heard Bobby was killed, she just couldn’t face up to it. Elizabeth says, it was a terrible loss to everyone who loved him. Betsy says, and Elizabeth is one of those people. Elizabeth loved him, stood by him. Elizabeth gave him hope. It was different with her. Dante says, different how? and she says she failed him when he needed her the most. When she heard he was gone, and she’d never get the chance… She starts to cry, and Elizabeth says, it’s okay. They understand. Dante says, but she couldn’t face losing Franco, so she put it on Elizabeth? and Betsy says, what? No, she didn’t. Cross her heart.

Austin says, he’s not scared of Maxie. Why would he be scared? She says, oh come on. There’s a reason he was living in the middle of nowhere when they met. He says, yeah, he was waiting for the right time to come to Port Charles. Maxie says, he could have done that at any point. He was hiding from the world. She basically dropped in out of the sky, in labor no less, and in a crisis. He helped her, they had this connection, but something was always getting in the way, namely havoc being wreaked by Peter. He says, but not anymore, and she says, now that Peter is dead – he says, yay – there’s no longer a crisis, where everything they feel is heightened. She wants to know if their crisis feelings are crisis feelings or real feelings, doesn’t he? He says, definitely.

Curtis says, Jordan seems to be in a good place, and Portia says, she’s very supportive of them moving in together; her and Jordan’s ex-husband. Curtis asks if she thinks Jordan is trying too hard, and she says she thinks Jordan is still in love with him. Not that she blames Jordan. She knows from experience, he’s a hard man to get over. He says, based on experience, back at her. She says, the point is, he’s the type of man who comes along once in a lifetime; for her twice. If she knows that, than Jordan knows that too.

Cameron sees Stella at the hospital, and asks how she’s feeling. she says, she’s fully recovered; it’s kind of him to ask. He says he’s happy to hear that. He doesn’t know if she remembers, but he was at Kelly’s the day she had her stroke. She says, he was? She’s sorry, but her memory of that day is still cloudy. He says, no problem. He’s happy to hear she’s feeling better. Although he’s sorry about her envelope. She says, envelope? and he says he hopes it wasn’t important.

Anna says, if this was just about surviving Peter, she’d say yes to a new beginning, of course (🍷), but she can never forgive the hell Obrecht put Robin through. Obrecht says, that was Cesar’s doing. Her most heinous misdeeds were at his behest. Most of them anyway. But that fact doesn’t move Anna, is that what she’s saying? Anna says, she understands a lot of damage can be done when you love someone and it’s not returned. She gets that; she’s seen it. For Obrecht, it was Faison. Obrecht says, for Peter it was Maxie, and for Cesar, it was Anna. Anna says she guesses that’s something they share; they have in common. That they’re free of that obsession now. Obrecht says, thankfully, she’s shed hers and found real love with Scotty, and Anna says, okay. Obrecht says, their pairing amuses her, but Anna says she’s happy for Obrecht says, for the woman who’s brought such pain and sorrow on Anna and those she loves? and Anna says, none of them are blameless, are they? Faison’s obsession with her brought him to town, and cost Nathan his life. Obrecht thanks her for that, and says, when it comes to her son’s death, there’s plenty of blame to go around. Anna says, she’s not sure they’ll ever be friends, but she does think they should find a way to put the past behind them.

Finn tells Betsy, it’s okay. She’s upset and confused. She asks if he’s ever gone crazy. Not upset and confused, but grief that hits you so hard you go all out nuts. Finn says he has, and she says, terrible, isn’t it? Sam says, here’s a possible explanation, maybe Betsy doesn’t remember taking Elizabeth’s wedding ring. Betsy asks what she’d do with Elizabeth’s wedding ring, and Dante asks if she has any recollection of cutting up Elizabeth’s dress, or burning down Franco’s art studio. She says, she would never, and he says, or bringing that painting here? She says, of course (🍷) not. She loves her Bobby and loves his art. She’d die before she let anything happen to his work. Finn says, people handle grief differently. Some withdraw into a shell; others act out. She asks which one he did, and he says, he acted out. How about her? She says she’s a shell person, and he says, if she ever needs help, they’re here. She says, he’s being nice and understanding; all of them are. But she couldn’t have done any of those things. Sam asks, why not? and she says, she’s been under 24 hour surveillance at the clinic, and she wasn’t released until right before she came to Port Charles. She may not be in her right mind, but even she couldn’t be in two places at one time.

Austin tells Maxie not to take it the wrong way, but there’s something different about her since she came back; she seems lighter and more buoyant. He likes this Maxie Jones. She says, he means the Maxie Jones who likes to keep moving forward with no regrets? The one who doesn’t hide how she feels because there’s no reason to hide anymore? There’s no way he could have known this, but this is the real Maxie Jones. He asks why he’d be scared of that, and she says she heard it takes some getting used. He asks what she’s doing tonight.

Curtis tells Portia that he and Jordan signed the divorce papers long before she got hurt and went away. He’s moved on and so has she. Portia says, she doesn’t doubt Jordan’s intentions. If she were in Jordan’s shoes, she’d say all the right things, just like Jordan did. She might even believe them, but if there was a chance, even a long shot, she’d never let him go.

Stella says she’s doing her best to recall, and Cameron says, she had an envelope with papers inside. She was going to mail it, and that’s when she had her stroke. Stella flashes back to that moment, and Cameron asks if she’s okay. She says, she’s fine, but for the life of her, she can’t remember what was in that envelope. Since she hasn’t gotten any calls or emails asking for missing documents, whatever it was must not have been important. He says, that’s a relief. He felt horrible that whatever was in it got soaked. She asks what he said he did with the envelope, and he says, in the midst of the confusion, a waitress threw it out. He can’t help but feel it’s all his fault.

Obrecht and Anna sit down, and Obrecht asks how they begin. It’s no small feat to distance oneself from one’s past. Anna says, especially one as contentious and complex as theirs. Obrecht says she’s got it. They’ll join a book club. Together, they will steamroll armchair bibliophiles. They can take turns choosing the books. Then they’ll tell them what to think, and devour their homemade snacks. Whoever brings crudités, forfeits their life. Anna says, she likes crudités, and Obrecht says, why is she not surprised? She’s more of a charcuterie lass herself. Anna says, she likes that too, and Obrecht says, see? Just when they thought common ground would impossible to find. Anna says, so this ax throwing thing. Were they imagining their enemies or each other as the targets? See what she did there? Our enemies or each other. Obrecht says, they are no longer one and the same.

Dante gets off the phone, and Sam says, well? He says, the director of the clinic says Betsy was there from Thanksgiving until she came to Port Charles. Finn says, obviously, she didn’t do anything with the ring or to the dress, and Elizabeth says she guesses Betsy couldn’t have started the fire or taken the painting. She’s so sorry for thinking Betsy did all those things, but Betsy says she doesn’t blame Elizabeth. In Elizabeth’s place, she would have suspected her too. She should have been more open about how Bobby’s death hit her. If she’d had the chance to say how sorry… Elizabeth says, Franco loved her, and knew she did her best. If he were here right now, he’d tell her that she had nothing to apologize for. Betsy says, she thinks so? and Elizabeth says, absolutely. Betsy says she’s glad her son had someone like Elizabeth to love him. She should go. She has a bus to catch home. Dante says they’ll give her a lift to the bus station, but she says she thinks she’ll call a Ride Share. She’s sorry Elizabeth is going through this. Maybe it’s just a simple explanation.

Maxie asks what Austin thinks she’s doing, and he says he thinks this is the point where she says she’s going out with him, but he’s getting a strong vibe that maybe that’s not what this part is. She says she’s spending time with her daughter and her siblings, and he says, awesome. He doesn’t want to be somebody who comes between her and her kids. He tells Bailey Louise goodnight, and says, it’s nice to have met this Maxie Jones. In the hallway, Maxie says she’ll see him tomorrow, and he watches as she goes down the hall.

Obrecht suggests they start with something simple. Perhaps a drink at The Savoy. She’ll even leave Scotty at home. Anna says, that would be best, and Obrecht says, it would just be the two of them. Anna suggests they not push their luck. Why don’t they just start with not plotting each other’s demise and go from there? Obrecht says, agreed. Auf Wiedersehen, Scarecrow. They laugh, and Anna says, until they meet again. Obrecht smiles, and leaves. Anna looks at the ax, picks it up, and throws a bullseye. She says, yes. Still got it.

Curtis tells Portia, they don’t want to loose out. They need to book a tour with the broker, and come in with a strong bid. She says she’s ready when he is, and he says, this is it. This next chapter is just the beginning. They kiss.

Stella tells Cameron, don’t give it a second thought. She made the mess, and someone did their job and cleaned it up. Cameron says he hopes her experience doesn’t prevent her from coming to Kelly’s again, and she says, as a matter-of-fact, she’s on her way there right now to meet TJ and his mother. Jordan’s back in Port Charles, so they’re all getting together. He says he thinks he’s working there later tonight, but in case he doesn’t see her, he’ll call one of the waitresses and tell her that dessert is on him. She thanks him, but says he’ll do no such thing. He says he’d like to treat her, and she says, it’s a lovely gesture, but her dessert is not coming out of his paycheck. He’s going to spend that money on his education. He says, but the envelope… She says, is gone, and that’s the end of it. She doesn’t want to be late. It was wonderful to see him. He says, her too, and she leaves.

Finn says, there’s no way Betsy could have pulled any of this off, and Sam says, none. Betsy is barely holding it together. Dante says, it sure seems like she’s suffered enough, and Elizabeth thanks them for their help. Dante says he wishes they could have actually found the person who’s harassing Elizabeth, and Elizabeth says she’s at a complete loss. Sam says, if it’s not Betsy, who was it? Elizabeth picks up a drawing, and Finn asks what it is. She says, it’s a sketch of Franco that she’s never seen before. Jake drew it.

Tomorrow, Brando tells Sasha, they have an entire vacation to find out; Ava asks if someone doesn’t trust her; Laura says, new details have come to light; Anna tells Drew, they’re headed for danger; and Spencer says, there must be something Victor can do.

General Hospital

Chase does squats, and let’s just say it. For someone who’s been bedridden for so long, he’s in amazing shape. I’ve never seen him do one crunch, yet he’s got abs for days. He remembers telling Willow that he’s grateful for having had her in his life, and her asking, how many people can say they loved as deeply as they did? He flashes back to her taking off her ring and giving it to him. He picks up the ring, and there’s a knock at the door. Finn comes in, surprised to see Chase is walking. Chase says, look, ma, no hands. Finn says, it’s incredible. Just one question. Why didn’t Chase tell him?

Willow sees Michael is working from home, and he says, the luxury of being his own boss. He asks where Wiley is, and she says, at the pool (🍷) with the nanny. He says, it’s a good day for it, and she agrees. He tells her that he missed her last night, and she says she missed him too. She hopes he understands… He says, that after returning Chase’s ring, she needed a minute? Of course (🍷) he understands. She says she did need a minute, but what she really needs is him. He says she’s got him for as long as she wants him, and she says, that could be a long time. He says he’s counting on it.

Brook comes in with Bailey, and says she’s getting heavy. She needs to lay off the formula. Just kidding. She tells Bailey to get as big and strong as she can. Show the world what she’s got, but first, it’s nap time. Where’s her favorite binky? Don’t tell her they lost it.

At the MetroCourt, Maxie puts Bailey/Louise’s binky in her pocket. She sees Carly, and says, just the person she’s been looking for. She was batting ideas around for Carley’s wedding. How does she feel about motorcycle ice sculptures?

In the home of the moss bowl 🎍, Jason asks Josslyn if everything is okay. She says, yes… no. Does he have a second to talk? If he doesn’t, it’s no big deal. He says he’s good, and sits down. He asks, what’s going on? and she says she had dinner with her mom and dad last night. She’s sure Carly told him, and he says, she mentioned it. How’d it go? She says, it was terrible.

Britt is staring at her tablet at the MetroCourt, when Obrecht sits with her. She asks what has Britt so enthralled, but Britt doesn’t know if that’s the word. More like resigned. She shows Obrecht Jason and Carly’s wedding announcement, and says, they’ve set a date.

Phyllis busses some tables at the Tan-O, and Sonny says he has it covered. She says she was going stir-crazy at the house. All those well-meaning neighbors stopping by, and the clinic insisted she take a week off. Can he believe that? Don’t they know work is the best thing for her now? He says, her neighbors and co-workers care about her, and want to help her like he does. Phyllis says if Sonny wants to help her, then tell Nina how much she means to him. Trust her. Nina could be taken away tomorrow, and all he’ll be left with is regret.

Outside, Peter thanks Nina for letting him crash at her place last night. She says, as if she had a choice; he threatened her nephew. He says he would never hurt James, and she says, no. He’d just take James away from his mother. He says, like Louise was taken from him. An eye for an eye, as they say. Or in this case, a child for a child.

Chase says he didn’t tell anyone about his progress, especially Willow. Finn says, he wanted to surprise her? and Chase says, that was the idea, but he found something out, and decided to keep it from her on purpose. They sit down, and Finn asks, what’s happening right now? Chase says, Michael and Willow are together, and Finn says, together together? Michael, Chase’s best friend, and Willow his wife? Chase says, not anymore, and picks up the ring. Willow wants an annulment. Finn asks, since when? and Chase says, since she’s in love with Michael.

Michael says it’s okay if Willow doesn’t want to talk about it, but she says, it’s fine. Once they were alone, and faced that it was time to put an end to all the lies and all the pretending, the anger and resentment washed away. The pain was still there obviously, and the sadness over what was lost, but she and Chase went back to where they started. Two people who only want the best for each other. He says, sounds like Chase, and she says, doesn’t it? He wonders if they can all be friends again, and she says she thinks so. Not now, while everything is still so fresh, but she hopes eventually. He hopes so too, and she says, it’s strange, isn’t it? Not having to hide anymore. They can just be them; Michael and Willow. He says, or Willow and Michael; ladies first. She says, if he insists, and Brook asks if she’s interrupting.

Carly reminds Maxie that she wanted understated, and Maxie says, remember the wedding of the century? Carly says, no melting motorcycles, and Maxie says her ice sculptures don’t melt, but whatever. Color palette? Carly asks what Maxie is thinking, and Maxie says she was thinking yellow. Not sunflower yellow, but a soft butter yellow, with hints of cream. They could pick it up in the bouquets and boutonnieres. Carly says she knows how much Jason loves a boutonniere, and tells Maxie how much she appreciates it. Maxie says, really? She got the feeling Carly and Jason were humoring her, but Carly says, not at all. For some reason, this has been hard. Not marrying Jason – that’s the easy part – but it just feels really weird, and she doesn’t know why. Maxie says she does.

Josslyn tells Jason, it was just so awkward. Hey, wait. Where the hell is the moss bowl 🎍? There’s a bowl of floating flowers on the kitchen island. Where do I protest this travesty? Josslyn says, they were fighting in this weird passive/aggressive way she’s never seen before. She knows they had a huge custody battle when she was a toddler, and Jason says, but she has no memory of that. She says, zero. The only thing she’s ever known is them being the poster couple for divorced parents. Even during the times her dad was furious at Sonny – and she means steam coming out of his ears furious – her mom and dad still shared a mutual respect for one another. Jason takes it last night wasn’t like that, and she says, they literally couldn’t hide their resentment. The only reason she could think of was because her mom’s marrying him.

Obrecht says she’s so sorry, and Britt asks, why? Obrecht says, because she got her heart broken. Britt says her heart is still intact, and Obrecht says, and not by a man she can easily write off. She can tell Britt had real feelings for Jason, and she lost him, and that hurts. She wants to help Britt somehow. Britt says she’s hurt, and angry, and doing stupid things like making speeches about toothbrushes that she won’t bother Obrecht with the details of. But does she wish none of it happened? It’s a shame it didn’t last, but that doesn’t make any of it less meaningful.

Nina and Peter go into the Tan-O, and Sonny introduces Phyllis to Peter. She says, he’s the author, and Peter says, Peter Sinclair; it’s a pleasure to meet her. They shake hands, and Peter says he’s so sorry to hear about her husband. Nina told him about Lenny last night. Sonny says, he was with Nina last night? and Peter says he spent the night at her place. Nina says she has the room, so the least she could do was offer up her couch. Peter says, it’s very fortunate that he ran into someone that he not only knew, but was sympatico with. Phyllis says, sympatico? and Sonny says, Peter and Nina both lost children. Peter says he thinks he can speak for Nina when he says neither of them wants to experience anything like that ever again.

Finn tells Chase, he feels like an idiot. He had no idea; he was so focused on other things. Chase says, like saving his little brother’s life? and Finn says, amongst other things. Willow seemed so loving and supportive. Chase says, she’s still both those things. She’s just not in love with him anymore. Finn asks why she didn’t just tell Chase, and Chase says, when would have been a good time? When he collapsed and was on the brink of death, or when he could barely walk, then couldn’t walk? It was just one thing after another. Finn says, okay. What’s Michael’s excuse? It’s a pretty crappy thing to do to a buddy. Chase says he was pissed off, but once he thought about it, Michael and Willow were married. They’re co-parents to Wiley; something Chase put in motion, by the way. They fell in love. They wanted to tell him, but there was never a good time for it. It was downright awful. Not because of Michael and Willow, but… Finn says, because of Peter. Chase says he wishes it was some trashy affair. Willow lying and running around behind his back, but it wasn’t like that. And that’s the part that hurts the most.

Willow says she can take Bailey to the nursery if Brook and Michael want some privacy, but Brook says, Bailey had better get used to the drama in this family. She asks how Chase is, and Willow says, hurt, sad; they both are. But they actually ended up in… Good is the wrong word. The better place. Brook says, how very Chase of him, and Willow says she knows Brook and Chase are close. She just wants to say for the record that this was a colossal mess, and it was all her fault. Michael says it wasn’t even close to being all her fault, but Willow says she should have told Chase the truth a lot sooner than she did. She hates that she didn’t have the courage to. Brook says, she was just having a conversation about this. Don’t worry; no details were exchanged. Sometimes in life, you’re faced with a crazy situation, and no matter what your intentions are, you’re forced to live with it. Should Willow have told Chase the truth? Maybe, but when? When Chase was dying, or when he thought he was never going to walk again? Willow messed up, but it’s clear it was out of care and kindness, not selfishness. Willow says, that’s very generous, and Brook says, it’s Chase they’re talking about. He will find the grace to see it for what it is. Maybe not today, but he will. Willow says she’s hopeful for that too. Brook says, if they could all be so lucky, and Michael asks what she means. She says, Chase could have been more volatile, someone you don’t know how they’re going to react if you cross them. He asks if she means like every single member of their family, and she says that’s exactly what she was thinking about.

Maxie tells Carly, it’s one thing to know you’re getting married, and be happy about it even, but it’s a completely different thing to contemplate spending the rest of your life with someone you didn’t know you were going to spend the rest of your life with. Carly says Maxie is right. She needs to change her perspective. This is an adjustment, but she’s still marrying Jason, and it’s still going to be wonderful, and it will reflect that. It just needs to be significant. Maxie says, but understated, and Carly says, that’s where Maxie comes in. Maxie asks if she’s thought about her vows. Does she want to go traditional or write them herself? Does she want Maxie to write Jason’s? Carly suggests they stick with traditional. If she gets up there and says what Jason means to her, they’ll be there all afternoon. Maxie says, traditional it is, but it’s going to be a wedding to remember. Carly says she has no doubt about that.

Britt tells Obrecht, typical, right? She finally finds the perfect guy, and it turns out he’s bonded for life with someone else. Obrecht says, someone woefully inferior, and Britt says, maybe. Obrecht says, definitely, and Britt says, Carly is a lucky woman. She thanks Obrecht for her support, saying, it means a lot. But while she’s pissed off and hurt, and all of the other things, she’s not sorry, and that feels really good. When her other relationships ended, she was left with this feeling of regret, of second-guessing what she did, and wishing she’d been different, better. But not this one. And that is something to celebrate. Obrecht tells her, if she says so, and Britt says she does. Come on. Lift her glass. Obrecht does, and Britt says, there you go. Cheers. Obrecht reluctantly clinks glasses with her.

Josslyn doesn’t understand why Jax has a problem with it. Yes, Jason is in the business, but he’s a good person, and Jax knows that, so she doesn’t understand why he’s acting this way. Unless he’s flat out jealous. He’s still in love with her mom, and can’t admit it. Jason tells her to listen to him for second, but she says, let her get this out. She loves her dad with all her heart, but he’s just wrong about this. She’s so happy Jason is marrying her mom. Josslyn doesn’t think there’s another person on earth who’s better for her, or better to her. She didn’t always understand that. At first, she was too young, then he was gone all those years, but when he came back, and she saw how happy he made her mom and how her mom trusts him, she hopes that makes up for everything else. She just feels bad that, for the first time – that she’s witnessed anyway – her dad is being a jerk.

Phyllis says she’s so sorry for Peter’s loss. She wishes she didn’t know that pain, but she does. He says she’s lost a child as well? and she says, her daughter. He says they always wish they could turn back the clock, don’t they? and Nina says, but unfortunately, they can’t. He says, but fortunately, they can take solace in other people who understand their pain. Sonny asks how long Peter is staying, and Peter says, that depends. Thanks to Nina and her hospitality, he was just passing through, but thinks he might stick around for a while. In fact, they’ve been discussing a project of mutual interest. Sonny asks, what kind of project?

Chase tells Finn, Willow wouldn’t have an affair. She’s not a cheater. Finn says he wouldn’t peg her as one either, and Chase says, so if she’s with Michael, that means she loves him. Having been loved by Willow before, he knows how lucky that makes Michael. He can’t even say Michael is undeserving; he’s a good guy. He knows Michael didn’t set out to hurt him, but it happened that way. Finn says, wow. Chase is being way more forgiving about this than he thinks he’d be. Chase asks what choice he has, and Finn says, being angry as all hell. Chase says, he was angry, but now he’s just sad. Sad for what was. What he and Willow had was gone, and he misses it, but in the end all he wants is for Willow to be happy, and she is. Finn asks what Chase meant about setting this in motion, and Chase says, when he and Sasha lied. Finn asks if Chase could go back and do things different, would he?

Brook says, speaking of family, can they discuss how Michael gave Austin the keys to the kingdom? Michael asks what he was supposed to do, and she says, destroy the evidence, shred it, basically anything except what he did. He says, she does realize there’s another copy of that memo out there. Doing something shady would only come back to bite them. She says he gave Austin a leg to stand on, and Michael says he did, but it doesn’t prove his case. All it proves was that grandfather had a conversation with his lawyer. It doesn’t say anything about a will being drafted. It doesn’t say anything about something being signed. People have wills drawn up all the time, but without a signature, it means nothing. She asks if he thinks the judge will rule in that direction, but he doesn’t know. He does think it’s better to be transparent; it makes damage control that much easier. Willow watches this conversation like she’s at a tennis match, and Michael says he knows Brook cares because she wants her father to be head of ELQ, and he gets that. That’s why when she did all that stuff with Bailey and the shares, he stepped aside, and he thinks it worked. He thinks they can retain control of ELQ. I’m confused as to why this is even an issue, since it’s not like Edward would have left Jimmy Lee with 51%. He says, what would be the worst thing? and Brook says she can’t tell if he’s joking or not. He says he hates to admit it, but Valentin is a good CEO. They’re all making money, ELQ is in the black, and whether or not she likes it, Valentin is part of this family now because of Bailey. So if Austin gets those stocks, and votes Valentin in, would it really be the end of the world? (Another good point.) It’s certainly not worth the backlash of doing something unethical. He knows she doesn’t see things this way because of her father, and Brook says Michael is giving him way too much credit.

Maxie joins Obrecht and Britt, and Britt asks when she got back. Maxie says, yesterday, and she’s been non-stop busy ever since. Obrecht asks if her time in Texas was healing, and Maxie says she’s never going to heal completely until Louise is home, and Peter is behind bars, but yes. Being with the family helped. So did seeing Nina. Obrecht says, she saw Nina? and Maxie says she stopped by Nixon Falls. She was hoping to spend more time with Nina, but Nina convinced her to come home. Britt tells her, welcome home, and asks what’s kept her so busy. Deception stuff? Maxie says, that, and she’s up to her eyeballs planning Jason and Carly’s wedding. Obrecht says, it sounded like she said Jason and Carly’s wedding, and Maxie says, because she did. Obrecht asks if she’s lost her mind.

Jason says Josslyn’s dad loves her, and he’s concerned about her. He’s not going to lie; he has every reason to be. The life he and her mother lead isn’t a normal life. She says, that’s one way to put it, and he says, Jax is allowed to have a problem with that. That being said, he thinks marrying her mom is the right thing. Nothing her dad does is going to change his mind or her mom’s. She says, God no. Not that her mom has any doubts, but because her dad is acting this way, it would only make her more determined. He laughs, and says, that sounds like Carly.

Peter says, Mike doesn’t know the unwritten rule between author and editor. They never kiss and tell. Sonny says, and they don’t keep secrets. Peter says, is that so? and Officer Finchley comes in. He says he wanted to offer his condolences to Phyllis, and she says, it’s kind of him. He remembers Mike and Nina, right? He says, how could he forget? and she introduces Peter. He says he knows Peter.

Chase tells Finn, if he could do it over again, the selfish part of him would say yeah, because he loves Willow and wants to spend the rest of his life with her. But the way it turned out, the most important thing happened. Michael and Willow got Wiley. Finn says Chase made quite a sacrifice, but Chase says he doesn’t know about that. Finn says, if Nelle had gotten custody, it could have gone a lot of different ways, none of them good. Chase says, in the end, he guesses he would do it all over again, and Finn says he’s a good man. Chase says, please, and Finn says he’s not good at accepting compliments (pot meet kettle), but he’s a good man. Chase says, it runs in the family, and Finn asks, what now? Chase puts the ring on the table, and says, now he gets on with the rest of his life. He’s on the mend, and getting stronger every day. He wants to get back to work. He likes being a detective, and being a favorite uncle. Finn says he’s the only uncle, and Chase says, semantics. Finn says, that gives him an idea.

Brook says, Michael assumes she only wants to protect her father, and she does, but she also doesn’t like Austin. Zero. Zip. Zilch. Like at all. Michael suggests she tell them how she really feels, and she says, he showed up there like he was this nice guy who’s helping Maxie. Then, boom. Just kidding. He’s actually Jimmy Lee Holt’s son, and wants all of their money. Michael says he doesn’t want all of their money, and she says, sorry. He just wants his fair share. Grandfather exiled Jimmy Lee Holt for good reason, and she hasn’t seen Austin do one good thing that entitles him to be part of this family. The best thing would be to send him packing. Michael remembers Willow is there, and asks if she can help him out, but she says, actually, she’s with Brook on this one. Honestly, another thing I don’t get. They weren’t exactly welcoming, and I get that Brook is paranoid he’s going to remember her, but what the hell with Willow?

Maxie asks if there’s a problem, and Obrecht says, yah, while Britt says, no. Obrecht says, a big problem. Does Maxie not know Jason broke her Britta’s heart? Treated her like something he scraped off the bottom of his shoe. Britt asks if she and Obrecht did not just have the conversation they had, but Obrecht says, it’s principle. Her love and devotion to Britt as her daughter is one thing, but her disdain for that schwein and his hussy is something else. Maxie says, whoa, and Britt says, a little extra, right? Obrecht says Maxie shouldn’t be doing favors for those despicable people, and Maxie says, first of all, she’s sorry about Britt and Jason. Britt says, don’t be, and Maxie says, but she thinks, in their own way, Jason and Carly love each other. Obrecht says, please. If Carly truly loved him, she’d realize he was better off with Britt, and let him go. But Carly wants what she wants when she wants it. Who cares about the rest of the world? Britt says, you know who that sounds like? and Obrecht says, who? Britt says, us.

Jason tells Josslyn that he has to take off, but before he goes, he wants to say this. What’s going on between her mom, her dad, and him, is between the three of them. Her carrying that or taking on that weight is probably one thing they can all agree they don’t want. She says she knows, but it’s hard to separate. He says he gets it, but just be aware. The best thing she can do is be there for them, love and support them, and they’ll do the exact same thing for her, all in their own ways. She’s going to college. He can’t even believe it, but she needs to live her life, and take advantage of this opportunity. She says she knows, and she’s so excited… He says, but… and she says, but it’s kind of weird, because it’s the first thing she’s going to do that her mom can’t give her advice on. Her mom never went to college. She’s imagining what she thinks it will be like, instead of having gone through it herself. She guesses she never realized how much she relies on her mom’s experience. He says he gets it, and she’s right; her mom’s never been to college. She’s stepped out into a new overwhelming world, and made her place in it. She may not have college experience, but she’s faced a lot of challenges, and knows how to overcome them. And she’s behind Josslyn 100%; so is he. Josslyn tells him, she’s said it before, but it can’t hurt to say it again. She’s happy they’re getting married. He says, him too, and they hug. Note to self: A job as mob boss lady does not require a degree.

Peter says he doesn’t believe he’s had the pleasure, and Phyllis tells Finchley, Peter is new in town. Nina says, he’s just passing through. Always on the run, isn’t he? Peter asks if she’s trying to get rid of him already, and she says she just knows how much he’s wanted back home. Peter says, and home is… She tells Finchley , they knew each other in Port Charles, and Peter says, Port Charles, Manhattan, Los Angeles, Chicago; they’ve known each other so many places, haven’t they? He fingers the gun in his waistband, and Phyllis thanks Finchley for stopping by. She knows how busy he is. He says he’s just a phone call away, and Phyllis says she’ll remember that. He leaves, and Sonny says, isn’t it nice, knowing how many people care about her? Phyllis says, nice and exhausting. She asks if Sonny will take her home, and he says, absolutely. He asks if Nina will be there when he gets back, and she says she will. She tells Phyllis to get some rest, and Phyllis says she will. She tells Peter that it was nice meeting him, and he says it was nice meeting her too. They leave, and Peter tells Nina, she just made a fatal mistake.

Chase says, a camping trip? and Finn says, fishing, s’mores, hikes to the waterfall. Chase isn’t sure he’s hiking ready yet, and Finn says he can sit that out. He can help set up the tent. Chase says, Finn told him that Elizabeth and the boys are going, and Finn says Chase worked his tail off to get back in shape. What did he do it for? To show off his abs at the MetroCourt pool (🍷); it’s been done already. Get off his butt, and spend some time with his family. Chase says, he’ll think about it, and Finn says, he’ll take it.

Willow says, Michael is thinking about things from a business perspective, and that’s great, but in the time they’ve been together, she’s come to know his family; to love them and think of them as her own. She, too, gets major sketch vibes from Austin. Brook says, see? and Willow says she just doesn’t know if he has the family’s best interest in mind. She gets why Michael did what he did, and she’s not saying he’s wrong, but she agrees with Brook. Brook says she loves them as a couple, and Michael says, oh my God. Brook says, Willow is a good addition to the family. Willow tells Michael, that’s not to say she doesn’t have huge respect for him as a businessman, because she does… Brook says, no backpedaling. Willow is with her on this one. Jason comes in, and Michael says, perfect timing. He’s being ganged up on. Brook says, it’s Bailey’s nap time, and they have to find Yuri. She leaves with Bailey/Louise, and Michael says, he texted Jason for a couple of reasons. He wanted to give Jason a heads up on their new family member, Austin. Jason says, Monica filled him in, and Michael says, the other thing is – he takes Willow’s hand – he and Willow are together again. Willow says she ended her marriage to Chase, and Jason says, that’s great (which sounds so wrong); he’s happy for them. He’s actually glad Michael texted. There’s something Jason needs to ask him.

Carly comes into the kitchen, and I keenly feel the absence of the moss bowl 🎍. She says she’s been thinking about Josslyn all day. She feels terrible about what happened last night. Josslyn says, it’s okay, but Carly says, it’s not okay. Things got tense with her and Josslyn’s dad, and it was supposed to be about Josslyn, to celebrate her. She feels terrible, and doesn’t want the disagreement she had with Josslyn’s dad to affect Josslyn’s relationship with him. She doesn’t want it to affect Josslyn at all. She just wants her and Jax to handle their own issue, and for Josslyn to be the amazing college kid that she is. Josslyn says she already talked to Jason, and she’s good. Another great thing about Carly marrying him. For somebody who doesn’t speak a whole lot he gives good advice.

Britt says, not one of them can talk to being selfish; they’ve all had their moments. Maxie says, preach! and Obrecht says, humph! Britt asks if Maxie could do something for her, and Maxie says, anything. Britt says, make the wedding beautiful. Maxie says she’s on it, and Britt says, she never planned on having a happily ever after, but she thinks it would be great if Jason got one. Obrecht says, that much generosity, she can barely handle. One ounce more, and Britt’s spine will turn to pudding. Besides, the wedding can be nice, but maybe the band forgets an instrument, or there’s a hair in someone’s… Britt says, mother… and Obrecht says, nothing to ruin the day. Just a minor hiccup. Maxie says she’ll see what she can do, and they laugh.

Peter says, Nina is lucky the officer didn’t recognize who he was… despite all those clues she kept feeding him. She says, maybe he filed those clues away, and he’s checking up on Peter Sinclair as they speak. He says he hopes not, for her sake. One siren in this direction… She says, do not threaten her nephew again, and he says, she built a nice cozy life for herself in Nixon Falls. It would be such a shame if something were to happen to the widow Caulfield, wouldn’t it? Or better yet, her precious Mike. She says he’s bluffing, and he says, maybe, but does she really want to risk it? Sonny comes back, and we can tell he knows something is up.

Finn tells Chase to let him know what he decides, and Chase says he will. Finn asks if he’s going to be okay, and Chase says, yeah. Finn says, then get back to work, and leaves. Chase closes the door, and picks up rings.

Jason tells Michael that he and Carly set a date, and Michael says, congratulations. Willow asks, when’s the big day? and Jason says, September 17^th. He was hoping Michael would be his best man. He can’t think of anyone he’d rather have by his side. Michael says Jason didn’t have to ask, but he’d be honored.

Josslyn tells Carly, she loves her dad – Carly says, of course (🍷) she does – but no matter his feelings on the subject, she’s thrilled Carly and Jason are getting married. She needs Carly to know that. Carly says she does, and it’s the perfect segue to their next topic of discussion – dress shopping. Josslyn says, for Carly? and Carly says, and for Josslyn. Her maid of honor needs to make a statement. Josslyn says, heck yeah, and Carly asks if that’s a yes. Josslyn says, no, because there was never any question. Of course (🍷) she’ll be Carly’s maid of honor. They hug and say they love each other so much.

Sonny asks if everything is okay, and Peter says, of course (🍷). He was just pitching an idea to Nina. A true crime story about a woman in a small town, not unlike Nixon Falls. She does everything in her power to save the people she loves. Is Nina interested? Nina says, she’ll consider it, and he says, fair enough. He’s going to take a walk; soak up the atmosphere. It might come in handy if she gives him the green light. Sonny says he’ll come with Peter, but Peter says, it’s not necessary. Sonny says he insists. He used to be a stranger there himself. Peter says, very well, and Sonny shoots Nina a look before they leave.

Britt thanks Obrecht for buying, and Obrecht says she’s paying? Britt says, considering the day she’s had, she thinks it’s appropriate. Obrecht says, now Britt is all torn up, and Britt asks if Maxie has time for a drink. Maxie says she wishes, but she can catch Britt up on everything in the elevator. Obrecht tells Maxie to give James a kiss from his oma, and Maxie says she will. Maxie and Britt leave, and Obrecht sits down to sign the tab. Her phone rings, and she sees it’s Nina. She says Maxie was just talking about her, but Nina says she doesn’t have much time. Is Obrecht alone? Obrecht asks, what’s wrong? and Nina says she has a problem she thinks Obrecht is perfectly qualified to solve. If Obrecht can’t for any reason, Nina will do it herself.

Outside, Sonny says Peter and Nina aren’t just business associates. Is he right? Peter says he’d also like to think of them as friends, but Sonny asks why he gets the feeling Nina doesn’t like Peter.

Tomorrow, Nikolas tells Ava that there’s always a silver lining, Scotty says it’s Austin’s ticket to ride, Jax says Josslyn isn’t coming within a mile of Carly’s wedding, and Sonny tells Peter, it’s probably time to get out of town.

Tomorrow begins another of what I believe we’re calling the weekend again, and I’ll be hear with soap, a real estate finale, tea, and ~~sympathy~~ wise words. Until then, stay safe, stay self-confident, and stay not doing anything shady. It could come back to bite you.

General Hospital

Carly tells Jason, it’s driving her crazy that Gladys wants them to bring Brando in, but he tells her, forget Gladys. Brando risked his life for them when he went to work for Cyrus. He’s proven he’s loyal, and if this is something he really wants… She says, so he’s okay with bringing Brando in, and he says, Brando is having a kid. The smarter choice is for him to stay away from the business, but he’s capable, he’s loyal, he’s smart. If this is the job he wants, Jason isn’t going to turn him away. Sam walks in, and looks at Carly and Jason.

At the pool, Sasha looks at Brando sunning himself, and starts to walk out. He notices her, and says he was going for a dip in the pool. Would she care to join him? She says she’ll have to pass. She can’t find any lounges to put her stuff on. He tells her to take his. He’s not letting his kid’s mom go without.

Dante tells Rocco, no cannonballs this time, but Rocco isn’t listening. Dante sees Chase on a lounge chair, and says, Chase is a cop. Can he arrest Dante’s kid? Chase says, Dante wants him to arrest his son for doing cannonballs? and Dante says he does. Scare him a little bit. He doesn’t listen to a thing Dante says. Chase says, last he heard, Dante rejoined the force, while he’s on a nice, long paid vacation. Did he bring handcuffs? Dante says, enough with this paid vacation stuff. Get himself back on the force and they can arrest his kid together. Just like old times, eh, partner?

Willow lets Nina into the gatehouse, and Nina says she got a text from Michael saying to pick Wiley up there. Are they upstairs? Willow says, Wiley is napping, and Michael is running late; a meeting with his family. Nina says she heard there was some drama last night at the ELQ Board meeting. Currently, there’s never a dull moment when the Quartermaines get together to talk about business. Willow wonders how old Wiley will be when he joins the fray.

Brook walks in, while Ned is on the phone. He says he looks forward to talking with Pasqual and his team, and Brook says, talking to the ELQ lawyers about Austin? What’d they say? Ned says, they need time to study the matter. Michael sent them the docs supposedly proving that Austin is Jimmy Lee’s son, but they’ll be asking for their own DNA test. Michael says, just to make sure the birth certificate and DNA test Scotty gave them are legitimate. She says it really burns her how great-grandfather cheated on great-grandmother Lila. The woman was a saint. Ned says, grandfather’s indiscretions are beside the point. They have to assume their own DNA test will prove Austin is Jimmy Lee’s son. He may actually be a relative. She says, but does that entitle him to a slice of the Quartermaine pie?

Austin looks at the staff photos on the wall at GH, and focuses on Alan. Monica says, doing his homework? and he says, Alan Quartermaine’s reputation was legendary. Gifted doctor, devoted father, pillar of the community. She says he forgot philanderer and scoundrel. He says he did. She’s his new boss. He’s trying to be polite. She says, or is he just trying to play dumb? Pull one over on her and her family, just like his father did back in the day.

Valentin says he thinks he may know Phyllis, but she says she doesn’t see how. Unless he’s a former patient. In which case, she apologizes for not recognizing him. He says he’s not a former patient, but he thinks his ex-wife may have been – Nina Reeves.

Sonny is about to leave the examining room, just as Anna is passing by. Anna hears the door handle, and stops, but a nurse asks if she can help Anna. Anna says, maybe she can. She’s looking for somebody. Sonny hears her voice.

Phyllis says, and he is? and Valentin says, he’s Valentin Cassadine. He assumes Nina told her about him, and supposes he didn’t come off terribly well. She says she’s sorry, but she can’t discuss her patients, former or current. He tells her that he completely understands, and for what it’s worth (🍷), he deeply regrets all the harm he caused Nina. She’s a very special woman. Phyllis says, yes she is, and she can tell him this much; Nina is doing just fine without him.

Anna tells the nurse that she’s looking for a Medivac pilot. His name is David Hopkins. Sonny listens on the other side of the door. The nurse asks if he was injured, and Anna says, not as far as she knows. The nurse says, then he wouldn’t be in the ER. She’ll take Anna to human resources. Anna leaves with her, and Sonny comes out.

Willow says, Wiley’s schedule is off this morning. He went down late for his nap, and he’s still down for it. Nina says, that’s okay. The Quartermaine pool will still be open. Willow asks if she’d like to reschedule, but Nina says she’d like to wait if it’s okay. She brought some of Wiley’s favorite snacks, and these really cute water wings. She shows Willow, and says, Willow and Michael probably have a ton of them, but they were so cute, she couldn’t resist. Willow tells her, stay, of course (🍷). Wiley will up soon, and he’d be devastated to miss an afternoon with his Grandma Nina.

Ned tells Brook, it’s too early to say whether Austin will end up with a stake in ELQ, and Michael says, it depends on the outcome of his lawsuit contesting great-grandfather’s will. Brook asks how Austin can claim rights to assets that his father never had to begin with, and Michael says, that’s for the lawyers to argue. She says, like Scotty? That’s the guy Austin chooses to go after their money? Let’s face it. Austin isn’t trying to legitimize dear old dad; he’s shaking them down.

Austin says he’s sensing Monica didn’t like his father, and she says, they had their ups and downs. He says, just like her and Alan, and she says, and Edward and Tracy. He asks if there’s a Quartermaine she didn’t have an issue with, and she says, Lila. And Annabelle. He says he doesn’t recall an Annabelle from the family tree, and Monica says, she was the family dog. He says, and a dog will never disappoint you, and Monica says, she got knocked up by a mutt way beneath her station. He says Monica doesn’t like the strays, but if she gives him a chance, he’ll try not to dig up the rose garden.

Dante asks Chase how’s newlywed life, but Chase says, married life still hasn’t begun. He can’t walk. Despite physical therapy, this is his great success. He wiggles a few toes, and Dante says, that’s great success. Chase asks when Dante became such a ray of sunshine, and Dante says since he decided he needed his partner back to stop him from doing questionable things. Chase says, like…? and Dante thinks back to kissing Sam. He says, never mind.

Sam goes to the MetroCourt restaurant, and Carly says, it’s been a while. Does she want a table or is she sittting at the bar? Sam says she’s meeting Maxie. She sees Carly’s ring, and says, nice rock. She asks if she can talk to Jason for a minute, and Carly says she’ll tell Maxie that Sam is there. Carly tells Maxie, Sam’s here, and Maxie looks over at Sam and Jason. She says, this should be interesting. Sam tells Jason, you and Carly, it’s finally happening. He’s sorry she didn’t hear it from him first, and she says, it’s not his fault. They keep missing each other. He asks if she told Danny, and she says she’s going to leave that one up to him. He thanks her, and she says she wouldn’t know the first thing to say to Danny because she doesn’t know the first thing about his engagement.

Brando brings Sasha a pillow, and asks if it’s too much sun. Does she want anything from the bar? She says she’s good, and thanks him. She asks if everything is okay, and he says, no… yeah… no… yes. He doesn’t want to invade her space, but he hasn’t seen a lot of her lately. She says she’s been busy, and it’s not like she’s seen a lot of him either. He says she didn’t tell him about her last check-up, but maybe she wanted him to stay away.

Chase says Dante just came back to the PCPD, and he’s already racking up demerits? Dante says, no, not him, and Chase asks, what’s going on? Is this even about work? Dante says, it’s about a woman.

Sam asks when Jason and Carly even decided they wanted to marry each other, and he says she knows Carly’s his best friend. She says, and he was able to express his feelings after Sonny died? He says they both know what it was like losing Sonny, and both have an empty space in their lives. She says, a shared loss, and he says, yeah. She says, and nothing else, and he says, they understand each other. They know what they’re getting into. She says she knows all about that. She’s always known where he and Carly stood with each other. First in line, ahead of everybody else. She walks away.

Carly tells Maxie that she’s not worried, and sits down. Maxie says, good. Then congratulations on her engagement. She knows Carly and Jason will make each other very happy. They’ve been friends for a long time, which is why she’s not too surprised. Carly thanks her, but says she really wanted to talk about Maxie. She’s not sure if Maxie is aware, but when Michael was a baby, he was kidnapped. Maxie says she knows; by her Uncle Tony. She knows the family lore. Carly says, the point being, she kind of knows what Maxie is going through, so if she needs a shoulder to cry on, Carly’s are available. She knows the police and the FBI are searching for Peter, but if there’s anything she and Jason can do, please let her know. Maxie thanks her, and Sam joins them, saying, sorry to keep Maxie waiting. She asks if she can speak with Carly for a second, and Carly says, of course (🍷). They step aside, and Sam takes Carly’s hands. She says she knows Carly and Jason wouldn’t have gotten engaged if there weren’t some sort of good reason, or if she hadn’t lost Sonny. So if there’s anything she can do to help, please let her know. Carly says, yeah, and Sam goes back to the table.

Nina says it’s sweet of Willow to say she made an impact on Wiley’s life, but she’s been away for so long, he’s had to get used to her all over again. Willow tells her not to sell herself short. Wiley knows when the people around him love him. He’s crazy about her. Nina says she was worried when she came back to Port Charles, that Wiley would run screaming from this stranger, but Willow says, that wasn’t going to happen. She picks up a digital photo album, and says, it was important that Wiley know who both of his grandmas are. Nina sees photo of Carly, then herself, and Willow says, she and Michael call this Wiley’s family. They tell Wiley about her all the time. Because Nina is his family.

Phyllis tells Valentin that Nina is staying with her and her husband in Nixon Falls. He says, that’s where Nina went when she was told she couldn’t see her grandson, and Phyllis says, Wiley. He thanks her for helping Nina, and she says, it wasn’t only her and Lenny. Mike had a lot to do with it as well. He says, Mike?

Sonny ponders the cap some more, when Lenny walks in with the doctor. Sonny asks if Lenny is done with the tests, and says he’ll get Phyllis. Lenny says, don’t, and Sonny asks, why? Lenny hesitates, and Sonny says, it’s bad, isn’t it?

Brook asks what they think; hold their noses and buy this guy off? Ned says, Austin is in this for his father, the late, not so great, Jimmy Lee Holt, and Brook asks if Ned ever met him. What was this guy like? Ned says he’s only heard stories, but what he does know for sure is, when Jimmy Lee left Port Charles for Pawtuck, grandfather washed his hands of him. Which is why when he wrote his will, he specifically said, Jimmy Lee and his heirs get nothing. Brook says, so if they give Austin some stock, they’re literally violating great-grandfather’s final wish, and Ned says, yes. Michael says, so they can’t buy him off, they can’t let him retain any stock… They’ve got to win him over.

Monica tells Austin that she was sorry to hear about Jimmy Lee’s passing. May she ask how? He says, in the end, it was the COPD. Not a pleasant ending he’s afraid. She says, no it wouldn’t be, and he says, there was nothing he could do to help ease his father’s passing. He could barely talk, but it didn’t stop him from asking about Edward. Monica says, after all these years. She hadn’t realized how much Jimmy Lee’s estrangement from Edward weighed on him. Austin says, he was on his deathbed, wondering how he had offended his father, begging for a chance to know how to make it right. She says, so now Austin wants to make it up to Jimmy Lee by getting a seat at the ELQ table that was denied him, right? He says, like it or not, he’s family, and he’s not going to let her, or any of the other Quartermaines, tell him otherwise.

Sasha asks why Brando thinks she doesn’t want him around, and he says, she’s busy with Deception… He pulls a chair up and sits down, saying, and then there’s his mom. Sasha asks, how is his roomie? and he says, full of unwanted advice. She asks if Gladys is the one who told him that she doesn’t want him in the baby’s life, and he asks if his mom is right. She says she wishes Gladys hadn’t said that to him, and he says he wishes he could feel better about her answer, but his mom isn’t entirely wrong, is she?

Jason asks Carly what Sam said, and Carly says, they have her support. It’s better than being damned to hell. She imagines Sam’s not too excited about their engagement. He says, Sam hasn’t told Danny. She figured he should be the one to explain. Carly asks what he’s going to say, and he says he’s going to tell Danny that they’re doing what they think is right, and that he loves Danny, and nothing is going to change. He’ll always be Danny’s father. She says, sounds good to her, and he asks her to tell him again exactly what happened with Joey Novak. She says, okay, but she doesn’t understand. She thought he said he wasn’t worried. He says, he’s not, but this guy could do something stupid; something that requires a response. She says, whatever Jason did hurt Joey’s pride, because he got up in her face and said, tell your fiancé he isn’t as secure as he thinks he is. He asks what she said, and she says she told Joey to say it to Jason’s face. Then she went to text him, but Brando stepped in, and Brando really knows what he’s doing. He says, maybe Brando saw her and thought she was going to throw down with Joey, and stepped in to do a good deed. She says, and if she would have thrown down? He says he would have backed her, but he’s glad it didn’t get that far. She says, her too, and he says he has to go see Monica. He’ll see Carly back at the house. He kisses her cheek, and she makes a soap face I can’t decipher. Maybe confused is the closest description.

Sonny asks how soon Lenny starts treatment, and the doctor says she’ll set up a series of appointments for him. She asks if Lenny has any questions, but Lenny says, not at the moment. She says she’ll give them some privacy, and leaves. Sonny says he’s going to get Phyllis, but Lenny says, she’s talking to some stranger. Let’s leave her be. Sonny says, Phyllis has to know, and Lenny says, she will, but she came here looking for hope. Let her hang on to that hope for another minute before he takes it away from her.

Phyllis tells Valentin, Mike works for her and Lenny in Nixon Falls. They own a bar called the Tan-O. Valentin says, and this Mike was helpful to Nina, was he? and Phyllis says, extremely. Anna returns, and asks if she’s interrupting, but Phyllis says, it’s perfectly all right. She has to check on her husband. Valentin says it was nice to meet her, and she says, him as well, and leaves. Anna asks, who was that? and he says, a friend of Nina’s. She says, small world, and he says, isn’t it? He asks where she’s been; he was worried about her. She says she has a lead on the pilot.

Dante tells Rocco, fifteen minutes, and sits back down next to Chase. He sees two umbrella drinks, blue in color, and asks, what the hell is that? Chase hands Dante one, and says, one sip of this baby, and he’ll be singing the name of the girl of his dreams. Dante says he’s still not going to talk, and Chase says, Dante is a cop; he knows how this goes. The harder a witness tries not to give a straight answer, the more they have to hide.

Maxie asks if everything is okay with Jason, and Sam asks if Maxie means how she feels about him marrying Carly. Maxie says she did hear Sam torched some of his belongings, and Sam says, wow, word gets around fast. Actually, she’s fine. It makes sense for Jason and Carly to get married. Maxie asks if Sam has been seeing Doc, and Sam says she doesn’t need a shrink. Really. She’s at peace with it. But it didn’t hurt to burn some of the mementos of the bad old days. Maxie says if it were her, the only way she’d feel peaceful about it is if she had someone to go home to, and Sam flashes back to Dante kissing her. She says, that wouldn’t help as much as she thinks, and Maxie asks why she’d say that. Does she have a man?

Brando says he and Sasha were doing so well when she shared their baby’s ultrasound with him. Then she went radio silent. He can’t help but wonder was it something he said or did? She says he’s been nothing but thoughtful and dependable, and he asks her not to give him that whole it’s not you it’s me speech. She says, okay, she won’t. Because it is him. He says he wasn’t expecting that, and she says, he’s exactly the kind of man she’d want to raise a child with. But if her choice is to raise this baby by herself, or to raise it with a man who’s working for the Corinthos family mob, or any mob, there is no choice.

Nina says, Willow has a picture of her and Wiley, and Willow says, she and Michael are always looking at the family album with Wiley and talking to him about his family. They want to make sure their son has relationships with everyone, even those he doesn’t see very often. Nina says, that’s really wonderful. Still, Wiley must wonder why his grandma Nina was away so long. Willow says, Wiley was at the playground a couple months ago. He fell and scraped his knee, and had to take it easy for a while. She told him that his Grandma Nina had a boo-boo of her own, and that’s why she had to go away. She had to take it easy too. Nina says, and if Wiley asks if she’s all better? and Willow asks what she’ll say. Nina tells Willow that she’ll say that she is. There’s a knock at the door, and Willow opens it to Carly, who says, Michael asked her to come by, but she wanted to see her grandson first. She realizes Nina is there.

Michael says, the closer Austin gets to them, the less likely he’ll wage war. Ned says, a charm offensive, but Brook says she has a better idea. Why don’t they hire a P.I.? Michael says, they don’t have time for an in-depth investigation into Austin’s background, and Ned says, especially when there’s no guarantee they’ll find anything defamatory. Michael says, Austin’s goal is Quartermaine recognition of his father, so why not give it to him? But Ned is the CEO-in-waiting, so it’s his decision.

Monica tells Austin, why fight a family when you can be part of it, right? He asks if she’s offering him shares of ELQ, and she laughs, saying, no. It’s not even in her control. Besides she doesn’t think he’d be all that happy with just shares. He says it wouldn’t make him happy or unhappy; it would make him family. When his father was disowned by Edward, the rest of the family never gave him a second thought. He thinks it would have been different if his father had shares of ELQ, and a vote to cast. She tells him, he said ELQ was family, and family is ELQ. He says, isn’t it? and she says he can ask her son Jason how he feels about ELQ. Jason approaches, and she says, and he’s still very much a part of the family.

Willow tells Carly, Nina has a pool date with Wiley today, but he’s still napping. Willow goes upstairs to check on him, and Carly says, Wiley has such a full schedule, she should have made an appointment first. Nina says, maybe after Carly talks to Michael, she could join them at the pool, but Carly says she doesn’t want to intrude. Nina says, it’s no intrusion. She’s sure Wiley would love having both his grandmother’s around. Plus it will give her a chance to toast Carly’s engagement.

While Austin is on the hospital phone, Monica tells Jason, Edward’s libido strikes again. Austin’s father, Jimmy Lee Holt, was the product of a dalliance between Edward and a woman named Beatrice LeSeur. Jason asks what Austin wants, and she says, he wants to be a Quartermaine. Jason says, is he? and she says, he brought his birth certificate and a DNA test to prove it. He asks if she wants him to shut this down, and she says, would he? Unless he’d prefer to keep his distance. He says, no. He’s happy to help.

Ned sees no reason why they can’t welcome Austin, until they figure out a way to shut him down, but Brook says, wrong. They don’t have time to welcome the good doctor into the family fold. He’s dangerous. Ned asks, how so? and she flashes back to Maxie wondering what if Austin got a glimpse of her and saying that everything might come back to him if he sees her. Ned asks, what makes Brook think Austin is anything more than a potential problem for ELQ? What does she know about this man that he and Michael don’t?

Anna tells Valentin, she showed her WSB badge to the head of human resources, and told her that David Hopkins was a person of interest. He says, and? and Anna says, they told her that he was at Ryan’s bar. He says, the one they just left? and she says, yes, opposite the hospital. He goes there after finishing his shift. He says, let’s go, but she grabs his arm, and says, she feels like a subtle approach is going to be necessary for this, so she wants to do this alone.

Maxie says, Sam does have a man in her life. Good for her. Who is he? Does she know him? How long has this been going on? Sam tells her, calm down. There’s nothing to tell. Maxie says, please. She has very little joy in her life, so she needs something to be happy about. Sam says, all right. There is a guy. Maxie says she knew it. Details please. Sam says, they kissed, and Maxie says, oh my God. What happened? Sam says, it wasn’t a big deal. She’d just found out Jason and Carly were getting married, she was totally wasted, they kissed, and it doesn’t count. Maxie asks if she’s kissed anyone else since she and Jason split, and Sam says, eww, no (because she’s five). Maxie says, then the kiss definitely counts.

Chase asks if he knows her, and Dante says, what part of he’s not talking doesn’t Chase understand? Chase asks if Dante wants to quickly cough something up. It’s better to just get it over with. Dante says, it was a weird night. She was in a rough place, and they got to talking. That’s all; it was nothing. Chase says, but Dante thinks it could be something? Maybe this mystery girl could turn into something if Dante gives it a chance.

Phyllis apologizes for taking so long, and asks if she missed Dr. Kishore. Lenny says, he’s afraid so, and she asks what the doctor said. What’s going on with his heart? Sonny puts his hand on Lenny’s shoulder, and Lenny says, it’s not his heart. It’s cancer. Phyllis starts to cry, and Sonny hugs her.

Dante says Chase wasn’t there; he was. She was in a bad place. He’s not going to be the guy who takes advantage of something like that. Chase says, sorry, and Dante says, Chase gets a get-out-of-jail-free pass since he’s on the newlywed train, and thinks everyone is wandering around all happy and in love just because he is. Chase says he highly recommends happiness, and if Dante ever gets another chance at it, do himself a favor and take it. Dante says he doesn’t know if it’s in the cards for him, but it would be nice.

Sam tells Maxie, okay, the kiss counts. Happy now? Maxie says, no, not yet. She’s going to dwell vicariously on this. Sam says, there’s nothing to dwell about. Maxie asked her there for a reason. What is it, and what can Sam do for her? Maxie says she needs to ask Sam a favor. She’s taking Georgie and James to Texas to visit her family for a while. Sam says, so she can stop worrying about Louise for a while? and Maxie says, and Peter. She needs to catch her breath, and put herself back together, and she can’t do it in Port Charles with everyone walking on eggshells around her. Sam asks what she can do for Maxie, and Maxie says she wants Sam to keep an eye on Spinelli. Ellie left him, and since Maxie is going to have Georgie with her, he’s going to need looking after. Sam says, poor Spinelli. Go to Texas, don’t worry about him. She’ll look after him.

Austin asks Jason where Monica is, and Jason says, she had a meeting. Austin says that he and Jason have something in common. He understands they’re both from the illegitimate branch of the Quartermaine tree, but Jason says, it doesn’t make him care any less about his family. Austin asks if he cares about ELQ, and Jason says, if it matters to them, it matters to him. He’ll do whatever it takes to protect them both; the family and the company.

Brook wonders why Austin is suddenly claiming rights to his family now. Something happened where now he thinks it’s the right time to fleece the Qs. Ned says he gets it. Brook is still trying to make up for selling her shares to Valentin, but she’s more than redeemed herself. There is no evidence that Austin is this threat she’s afraid he is.

Sasha says she overheard Brando’s mother say that he could be Jason’s righthand man, and Brando says he respects Jason. There’s worse people to work for. He worked for one. Sasha says, he only took the job with Cyrus to spy on him for Sonny and Jason, but she got close to Cyrus too, and almost died because of it. But at the time, she had no one to protect; now she does. That’s all the reason she needs not to set foot in that world again. Is that enough reason for him? He doesn’t say anything, so she gets up and leaves.

Valentin asks if Anna is saying he can’t be subtle, and she says, yes. A woman on her own is far more approachable than a woman accompanied by a man. He tells her, play it any way she wants to, but there’s no way in hell he’s letting her go in there by herself without a wingman. She says, great, but they do it her way, and he says, she’s the boss.

Phyllis takes Lenny’s hand, and he tells her, Dr. Kishore decided to look further than his heart. He had a scan, and there’s a mass on his pancreas. She says, how large? and he says, it’s pretty far gone. Sonny says, that doesn’t mean Lenny doesn’t have options. The doctor said there’s chemotherapy, there’s surgery… Lenny says, that could put them in the poorhouse. He’s not going to do that to her. He leaves, and Sonny tells Phyllis, it’s all right, and she follows Lenny.

Nina says, Jax mentioned that Carly and Jason got engaged, and Carly says, she’s sure Jax did more than just mention it. Nina says he’s worried about Carly, and Carly says, for no reason. Her engagement to Jason, that’s the way things are supposed to be. Nina says, okay. She guesses it’s been a long time coming. Nina’s phone rings. She sees it’s Mike/Sonny, and ignores the call. Carly says she’s going to go talk to Michael, and Nina says, Carly… Carly turns back, and Nina thanks Carly for giving her time with Wiley. Carly says, the way their grandson smiles at Nina, it’s clear she makes him very happy.

Carly leaves, and Nina calls Sonny back. She says she’s sorry she didn’t answer his call earlier (like, literally two seconds ago), and he says he’s sorry to bother her. He didn’t want to make this call. She asks, why? What’s wrong? He says they need her; Phyllis, Lenny, and him. Is there any way she could come home?

On Monday, Maxie tells Brook, he could blow their whole story wide open; Spencer tells Nikolas, maybe it’s a bigger deal than he thinks; and Valentin has someone pinned to the bar with their arm behind their back.

First of all, I feel compelled to say, Little Craig is the best thing on this show.

Madison called Danni to invite her to a get together. She said it was going to be Austen’s birthday party, but since they’d broken up, it was just a party to get tipsy and have fun on a private island. She asked if Danni would be okay with Kathryn being there, and Danni didn’t sound too thrilled. Madison threatened to put Kathryn smack dab in front of Danni, so they could talk it out.

Kathryn met Shep at a restaurant for lunch, but he was minus Little Craig because of the heat. He asked what happened with her and Danni, and she said she felt it was an explosion brought on with no warning. She wanted to fix it, and felt like her world crumbling. We circled back to the monkey emoji, and in his interview, Shep said he thought she was at fault, but not a racist, so he gave her the benefit of the doubt. She told him her boyfriend was Black. His name was Chleb (pronounced like Caleb) Ravenel – yes, those Ravenels – but he was a nice Ravenel. She told Shep that they’d been flirting since before quarantine, but she hadn’t wanted to tell anyone, since people might say it was convenient.

Madison called Austen, and said she didn’t know if him coming would be the best for him personally. He asked her to explain, and she said Craig told her that she was leading him on. She couldn’t have him at the party if that was the case. If he could be a friend, great, but if not, please don’t come. It was her party. He said, at one point, it was supposed to be his party, and she said she knew he wouldn’t handle it well. He told her that she’d sh*t on his day. In his interview, he said he’d thought their break-up was amicable. Austen called Craig, and claimed Madison had said he didn’t want Austen there, but Craig said that wasn’t the conversation they had. We flashed back to Craig telling Madison, the nicest thing she could do for Austen would be to walk away. Craig told Austen not to be a bitch puppy dog, and Madison called Austen again while Craig was talking. Austen said he was blown away that Madison had formed a coalition with Craig. Had she lost her mind? She said she didn’t want him to feel like she was leading him on. She did want him there as a friend, but nothing more. If he could not be a psycho ex-boyfriend, he could come. He told her that he’d skip it, and she said she thought that was best.

Madison2 from Gwynn’s met Leva, Danni, and Venita at the store, and they popped champagne while Danni tried on dresses. Danni told them about meeting with Kathryn. In Danni’s interview, a producer asked why Danni maintained a relationship with Kathryn, and Danni said it was the question of the day, but she’d always care about Kathryn. She’d always be the 21-year-old Danni remembered. She thought Kathryn had some growing up to do, and believed she’d played a role in enabling Kathryn. Leva said she was offended about being the only person Kathryn was talking to. Madison2 was a woman of color, and did she think her white friends didn’t care? Madison2 said Gwynn’s was her family’s livelihood, and Kathryn hadn’t made an apology. Leva mentioned that Kathryn was dating Chleb, and said it was a strategic move. In Leva’s interview, she said, banging a Black guy doesn’t make you woke. While that’s true, I thought it was kind of a sh*tty thing to say, since she doesn’t know what Kathryn’s motives are, and I don’t know about Kathryn, but it would be difficult for me to have an entire romantic relationship just to prove a point.

Danni went to Capers Island to set up for the party. There was a canopy, with a low table underneath, pillows to sit on, and a beachy tablescape. Madison said it was exactly what she’d pictured, but better, and someone had asked if they were having a wedding there. Everyone took a ferry over, except for Craig, Kathryn, and Taylor, who were running late. Leva said Shep looked like a bum, when they were supposed to dress nice. Meanwhile, Austen got dressed, while mumbling about a party on the beach in mid-July. He couldn’t believe his best friend stabbed him in the back, and told Madison not to invite him. It was his party, and he could come if he wanted to. In John’s interview, he said he didn’t know why Austen would want to be there. If he’d been dumped, he would sit it TF out. Craig picked up Kathryn, and told her that he’d been dealing with Madison and Austen. Kathryn said Madison couldn’t cancel the party and cancel Austen. On the ferry, Austen told Shep that Madison had said not to come, but he thought he was capable. Shep said Austen’s emotions were still in play, and Austen said just wanted to be happy. Shep said he’d have to be sad first. John said he thought Madison was a smoke show, and I thought Madison was going to freak out when she saw Austen.

Shep swore he’d gotten no email about the attire, and that Madison hadn’t told him. Madison was just like, well… and in her interview, said Austen had killed her vibe. The place-cards were engraved glasses for the guests to keep, but there was no glass for Austen, and he pouted. WTF did he expect? He stood near Madison, and said he wasn’t trying to get her back; he was just getting out of the wind. She said he couldn’t get her back if he tried, and he said, here’s to not trying. Shep told the others it was tense. Madison found a spot to squeeze Austen in.

Kathryn and Craig drank from bottles of wine on the ferry, and he said he thought Austen was mad at him. On the beach, Danni asked Madison what the deal was, and Madison said she’d uninvited Austen; he was too attached. She didn’t know why he came. The guys played cornhole, and Madison told the girls that she was done with Austen. She was going for the A-team, not the B-team. The food looked fabulous, lots of shellfish and some kind of corn salsa thing. Shep said Kathryn and Craig were on their way, and Taylor was at the marina. Madison wanted Austen to move to accommodate the people she’d actually invited, and John asked how Austen felt, since what had been his birthday, was now whatever TF it was. He asked if Austen didn’t feel like he was holding himself back; it was time to move on. Craig and Kathryn arrived, and in her interview, Kathryn said her girlfriends couldn’t look her in the eye, and had all turned their backs to her, acting like they didn’t know her. It broke her heart. Contrary to that thought, Leva introduced Venita. Kathryn wasn’t sure what was going on with Danni, and Madison2 said she thought no matter what, Danni would have Kathryn’s back, but Kathryn didn’t believe it. She said she was hurt and upset, and Danni told Leva that she was indifferent. Madison called Austen an effing bitch, and changed her seat. In Craig’s interview, he said the fact Austen was there was pathetic. He couldn’t handle being friends with Madison, which was why they had to cut ties. Taylor finally got there, also dressed down, and said Shep probably knew the attire, and wanted her to look like an idiot. She and Shep went in the water, and Leva thought there needed to be a kumbaya between Danni and Kathryn.

Leva asked Kathryn to sit by them, and Austen wanted to talk to Craig, so they stepped away. Madison noticed that Craig and Austen were twinsies in goldenrod pants and white shirts. She said she was literally pissed, although there was a question mark over my head as to why. In John’s interview, he said, Madison the Mom was sweet, caring, and nurturing, but Madison with Austen was mean, and made him uncomfortable. Craig told Austen that he’d promised to act normal, but Austen said Madison was poking at him. Craig said when Austen and Madison were together, nastiness came out. Austen said the reason he wanted to talk was to find out what Craig told Madison. He asked WTF was going on, and Craig said any delusion Austen had about being friends with Madison wasn’t there; his feelings were too strong. Whenever they were in each other’s lives, they were miserable, and it was a toxic mess that spilled over onto everyone. Austen wanted to be at the party, and they were having the same conversation. He couldn’t handle being with Madison as a friend, and blamed it on Craig. Madison didn’t want to hang out with the friend group anymore, and blamed them.

Kathryn asked what was going on, and Leva suggested Kathryn and Danni talk. Kathryn said she was open to hear what was going on with Danni. Craig told Austen, if he couldn’t figure out how prevent the toxicity from affecting others, people were going to pull away from him. Austen reminded Craig that he’d been in the same boat with Naomie, but Craig said if Austen continued this way, he was choosing to turn his back on everyone. Kathryn told Danni that she had no idea Danni had been upset, and Danni said she’d been texting Kathryn since February. Madison2 thought Kathryn was unauthentic, but stuck her nose in the conversation. Danni acted like a bit of an ass, and Kathryn walked away, saying she didn’t know what Danni wanted. Danni said she wasn’t ready to have this conversation, which is exactly why Leva should have given it a rest. Craig suggested he and Austen go get their feet wet and not talk.

Kathryn came back to the table, and said she didn’t know what was going on. Leva said Danni and Madison2 felt betrayed because Kathryn hadn’t apologized. Kathryn thought it wasn’t conversation for the dinner table, and everyone got quiet, since apparently, there was nothing else to talk about. Madison told John that she’d always care about Austen, but didn’t think he was someone for the long-term. Craig asked if Kathryn and Danni made up, but Danni told him that it was deeper than entrée conversation. Craig said Danni acted like nothing happened, then bugged out, but Danni had no idea what he was talking about. Danni tried to drag Kathryn away from the table, and told Craig to STFU. Craig said she needed to work on her reactions, and announced that girls and guys had different definitions of being rational. Leva agreed, but reworded it to, they were different in dealing with their emotions. Shep asked Taylor if she could imagine being stuck there, and Taylor said they were stuck there.

Danni again tried to explain to Kathryn that she was hurt about Kathryn reaching out to Leva instead of her, and telling Leva that she was alone and had no one she could count on. She wondered if Kathryn felt like she wasn’t a good friend, and Kathryn said it had been hard to get in touch with her. She was confused at how huge a thing it had become, and said when she’d talked to Leva, maybe it’s how she felt at the time. In Danni’s interview, she said she’d put more energy into helping Kathryn than she had anyone else in her life. To hear Kathryn didn’t have anyone made her feel like Kathryn took advantage of her. Kathryn swept her under the rug until she needed her. Danni said she thought she and Kathryn had different definitions of friendship. Kathryn asked if Danni thought she wasn’t a good enough friend, and asked it Danni was saying she didn’t want to be friends anymore.

Madison said the party was over; the tide was rolling in. Danni said she felt that Kathryn was doing the sorry-you-feel-that-way thing, when Madison told them that they had to go. I don’t normally comment on how people look, unless it’s their fashion choices, but I thought Danni looked way thin. Like, maybe unhealthy thin. Shep told Kathryn that they’d recap later. Leva tried to impress on Kathryn that she wasn’t against her, and Austen said, consider him moved on. He couldn’t wait to see what the future held. Until they got on the ferry.

On the ferry, Madison2 explained to Kathryn that Gwynn’s had been getting hate on the internet for what Kathryn had done. It was a family business, and they needed to make a statement. Kathryn said she hadn’t known what happened, and Madison2 asked if Kathryn even cared what she was going through. In Kathryn’s interview, she said she was very sorry they got online hate, but she didn’t think they should have posted anything about her; it was bullying. The other girls moved closer, and Kathryn told Madison2 that she wasn’t having this conversation with an audience.

Kathryn moved to where Austen was sitting, and he asked if there was drama. Leva said she wasn’t an audience; they’d moved because of the wind. She told Kathryn that she wasn’t trying to be an a-hole, but Kathryn walked through life feeling like everyone was against her, and that wasn’t the case. Austen said Leva had to understand that Kathryn had been attacked by every single woman there. Huh? In Leva’s interview, she said, just because she was a woman, had a voice, and knew how to use it, didn’t mean she was a bully. Leva told Kathryn that she’d created issues that affected her children and husband. John thought Leva was being aggressive, and Leva said she was only communicating how offensive what Kathryn had done was. Austen just kept repeating himself, and Leva told him to STFU. Stuck in the middle, Kathryn said nothing, and looked like she wanted to disappear. Leva said she’d been kind to Kathryn, and Austen said she’d lost her mind. Leva said she wasn’t addressing him, and Madison joined the fray, telling Austen to STFU. WOTD. Everyone started screaming at one another, and Austen told Madison to sit down. Craig told Shep that Austen was a terrible person, and whenever he was in their lives, there was stress. Leva told Austen that her conversation was with Kathryn, and told Kathryn not to be her own enemy. Kathryn thanked her.

Next time – a two-part finale – the group goes to one of those places where you smash things, Craig goes on a date in a rowboat, Leva wonders why the guys are coddling someone who’s blatantly racist, Madison tells Austen that he’s a p*ssy, and there’s a lot of arguing.

General Hospital

Jason sees Doc and Laura at the MetroCourt. He says he needs Doc’s help, and asks if Doc can get him in to see Ryan.

At another table, Finn is on the phone. He asks if he and Hayden are still on for breakfast. Hayden says she’s going to check on Elizabeth, and head over. He says he’s looking forward to it. Robert comes by, and says that’s mighty cosmopolitan of Finn. Finn asks how? and Robert says Finn has his ex in town to keep him warm, while his fiancé off doing something. Who said you can’t have your cake and eat it too?

After a restless night, Ava gets up and drinks a glass of water. She hears the front door knob jiggle. The door opens, but the chain is on it. Ava gets her gun.

At the high school, Josslyn says they’re counting on Dustin to be a chaperone at the Halloween dance. He says he’s sure they have some ideas, and Trina gives him several teacher’s names. He says he senses a pattern. Can’t they think of a faculty member not born in the 1980s? Josslyn says it will be embarrassing to see them dancing to Donna Summer. Dustin says maybe the chaperones will be happy dancing to Donna Summer, and they can learn a little about pop history. Cameron walks in wearing a suit, and Dustin asks, what’s the occasion? Trina says, it’s his court outfit, and Josslyn asks if it has something to do with his community service. Trina says, Franco’s hearing is today, and Cameron says he’s going to see if he can save Franco instead of Franco saving him.

At the hospital, Elizabeth tells Hayden that she’s meeting Scotty at Kelly’s to firm up their strategy. Hayden asks how she’s doing, and Elizabeth says she’s going to court to fight for a husband whose memory was taken, and he thinks he’s someone else. It’s like that. They hug, and Hayden says, Franco’s lawyer has no idea what he’s up against.

Martin goes to Franco’s room, carrying a garment bag. Franco asks if he brought a suit, and Martin says, better. He shows Franco (we don’t see it), and Franco says, wow. Even he’s impressed by himself. Martin says if they’re going to battle, he’d better be dressed for it. Ooh. I’ll bet it’s his Navy blues.

Julian tells Ava, open up, and she lets him in. She says he scared the hell out of her. He says, bringing her breakfast? What was she planning on doing? Shooting first, and asking questions later? He takes the gun from her, and she says he can’t blame her for taking precautions. He says she’s got the door locked, bolted, and chained; she’s got the windows locked and covered; and all kinds of security cameras and alarms. For a guy who’s currently incarcerated in a secure facility. Ava says he’s watching her. She can feel it. Julian sees she’s been drinking, and tells her, don’t get mad, but is it possible her paranoia is fueled by drinking? She says, if anything, drinking is the only thing helping her. She knows he doesn’t believe it, but she can feel Ryan’s breath on her neck like he’s standing next to her. He’s watching… always watching.

Jason tells Doc that he went to visit Brice, and he was ready to name the person who paid him to frame Sam. Laura says, but he was killed first. Jason nods, and says now he doesn’t have enough to clear Sam, and he wants to find out if Brice mentioned the name to Ryan. Doc tells him that he’s wasting his time. He’d be better off calling Brice’s attorney. Jason says he reached out, but now that Brice is dead, the lawyer has no incentive to return his call. Ryan is in solitary, and the warden won’t let him have access. Laura is surprised he’d take Ryan’s word on anything, and Jason says he has a theory, and Brice confirmed it. Laura asks who it is, but Jason says he needs more proof. It would help if he could find out what Ryan knows. Laura says she can’t promise anything, but she can put in a word. Doc says his brother doesn’t help people. He likes to watch them chase their tails. He’ll negotiate and stall, hoping they come back to confront him. Jason would be better off going elsewhere. Jason thanks Doc for his advice, and says he needs to follow up on every lead. Laura says she’ll call him if she hears anything.

Robert sits down, and signals the waitress for coffee. Finn tells him not to make himself comfortable. He’s not staying. Robert asks if Finn doesn’t want a witness to his brekkie with Hayden. Finn says there’s nothing to worry about, and Robert says, the first thing you learn in the spy game is how to spot a lie. Finn reeks of it.

At the hospital, Hayden runs into Curtis. She asks if everything is okay, and he says he’s there for a case. She asks if it’s a good one, or can’t he talk about it? He says since he’s also kind of a client, he can. He’s there for backup on Sasha’s DNA test. She asks why he’s a client, and he says he had Sasha take not one, but two DNA tests, to confirm she was Nina’s daughter. He doesn’t take kindly to being used to hurt a friend or by a friend. She says he’s a great friend. He deserves to be treated like one. Curtis is glad she feels that way, and tells her that he’s a good listener. If she has anything on her mind…

Elizabeth walks into Kelly’s, where Scotty is scarfing pancakes. He offers to order her a stack, saying, breakfast is the most important meal of the day. She says she can’t eat when her stomach is in a knot. Scotty asks the waitress for coffee, telling Elizabeth, caffeine is good. She says she was up all night, going over everything. Scotty asks, what for? What is she looking for? She says the one thing they missed. The one thing that could make the difference between saving Franco and losing him.

Doc asks if Laura is really going to call the warden. Laura says Jason stopped Ryan from dragging Ava over the bridge in Canada. It’s the least she could do. She tells Doc that she’s dreading the hearing. Poor Elizabeth, and the boys. They love him. Aiden and Jake are waiting for hm to come home, and Cameron is determined to repay Franco for saving his life. She asks if Franco was rational when Doc saw him, and Doc says he can tell her what she already knows. For all intents and purposes, Franco presents a man who believes he’s Drew Cane.

I was right. Franco is dressed in his Navy blues with decorations. Martin asks how he feels, and Franco says, like himself, Chief Andrew Cane. Martin tells him, move around and get used to them. He’s going to do some last minute preparation. Franco asks if that means Martin isn’t properly prepared. Martin says there’s always last minute preparation. Opposing counsel will use his appearance to show he’s incompetent, and unable to recognize himself, which means he’s incapable of acting in his own behalf. It’s Franco’s job to prove otherwise. Martin tells him to keep asking who Drew Cane is, and how he knows who he is. Answer honestly, and even Scott Baldwin will have a hard time proving he’s not who he is. Franco says, Chief Petty Officer, Andrew Cane.

Josslyn thanks Dustin, and says, the journaling helps. It turns out she had a lot bottled up. It felt good to let it out. He’s glad the process is working for her, and asks how much time she spends on it. She says, a couple hours a day, maybe more, maybe less. He says, that’s a lot, and she asks if there’s such a thing as too much. He says, not necessarily, but as gratifying as it is to get it on paper, it’s not a substitute for real friends.

Sitting nearby, Cameron tells Trina that he was a jerk to Franco. Trina says, if he’s unnecessarily torturing himself, she wants in. In the beginning, Franco was unfair about how Cameron related to his brothers. Cameron says Franco apologized, and she says, that’s all anyone can do. He thanks her, and she says she’s not done. When Franco does come back, he’s going to want to make up for lost time. Cameron says, that he will, and he can’t wait.

Finn says it’s been swell talking to Robert, but he generally doesn’t spend time with people who call him a liar to his face. Robert says Anna is on a mission and Finn is playing house with his ex. Finn says he and Anna talk every day, especially after what happened last time when he was texting with imposters. Robert says he was there. He tolerates Finn because Anna loves him, but his tolerance disappears when Finn goes behind her back. Finn says he wouldn’t tolerate that either. That’s why he texted Anna this morning, and said he was having breakfast with Hayden to sort out a few things. Robert asks what Anna said, and Finn says he hasn’t heard back yet. She’s busy with the aforementioned mission. Robert says he believes Finn. Finn says, thanks, but Robert adds, to a point. He thinks Finn is lying about something. Not about Anna, but Hayden.

Finn says Robert is the mother of Anna’s child, so he humors him, but Robert needs to get off his back. Hayden has no connection to him. Whatever is going on, it’s none of Robert’s business. Robert says something is going on between Finn and Hayden. Finn says he loves Anna. Good. Don’t let anything get in the way of that. He thanks Finn for the coffee, and leaves.

Hayden says there’s nothing she needs to talk through at the moment, and tells Curtis to stay focused on their other project. She has to run; Finn invited her to breakfast. Curtis asks if Finn said why, but Hayden says he didn’t mention any particulars. Does he know something she doesn’t? Curtis says Finn didn’t say anything to him, but they have a history, Hayden says, they do. She’ll let him know if she needs to unburden herself of anything after breakfast. He says he’ll catch her later.

Laura tells Doc that when he was speaking with Jason, it was the most grounded she’s seen him talking about his brother. Doc says he’s working on it. She wishes Ava would. It sounds like she’s unraveling. Ryan has been writing her letters, and she decided to take them back to return them. Doc says, she only made it worse. Laura says, Ava seems to think people are watching her constantly, and Doc says, it’s not uncommon in victims of PTSD. She asks if he thinks that’s what Ava has, and he says he can’t be certain, but it’s likely. When he thinks about the terrible things Ryan did to him – and he does think about them – he doesn’t think Ryan is going to give up on loving Ava until he destroys her.

Julian puts Ava’s gun away. He thought she was doing better, but clearly, she’s not. Ava says it’s her home. If she wants to cover the windows she will, and it’s safer that way. He says she has the right to be upset, but holing up in the dark, drinking herself into oblivion, and imagining shadows? She’s better than this; stronger than this. He tells her not to let Ryan defeat her like this. Maybe she should go back to the hospital. She says she’s not the one who can’t face reality. It’s him, and every other person who insists the world is a safe place.

Elizabeth tells Scotty, for two people who just want a simple life together, she and Franco have faced some challenges, but through it all, there’s love. Scotty says they definitely love each other. She says it’s come down to this, the two most important days in their lives. The day they got married with jail cell bars between them, and today, when a judge decides if they’ll be kept apart. Scotty says, at the wedding reception, Bobbie was pressing him to make a toast, but Obrecht fell into the drink and goofed everything up. He was saving it for their 1^st anniversary, but he thinks she needs to hear what he had to say now.

Jason visits Franco, and asks if he has a minute. Franco says he does, unless Jason is there to convince him not to undergo the procedure. Jason says he’s there to ask him if he remembers something. Franco says, as Franco? but Jason says, it’s something Drew Cane might remember.

Trina tells Cameron she doesn’t know why Cameron doesn’t like a certain teacher for chaperone. He says they’ll be dancing to rock dirges. Josslyn asks Dustin if that’s not the point of journaling. She doesn’t want to censure what she says or feel like she’s expected to feel a certain way. He asks if she feels she has to do that with her friends, and she says, doesn’t everyone act differently around different friends? He says she’s right, and it is important to have a safe, private place to be yourself.

Trina can’t believe Cameron used the word dirge, and asks if he even knows what it means. He says the Halloween dance will turn into a bubblegum pop nightmare. Dustin tells Josslyn, it’s important to spend time with people who care, and she says she sees them at school. He says, what about after? and she admits maybe she has been spending less time with them. He tells her it’s a trade-off. If she spends more time with them, she’ll have more to write about. She guesses he’s right.

Scotty tells Elizabeth, marriage is not for the faint of heart. She and Franco have had so many obstacles and tragedies to get where they are. He calls it love, but that’s not giving it justice. Everyone should be so lucky to approach love the way they do with tenacity and faith.

Jason tells Franco that Brice broke Shiloh out of custody, and Sam killed Shiloh defending him. That should have been the end, but Brice ID’d Sam as his employer. Franco says, and that’s not true, and Jason says, the Feds think it is though. They’re saying she got Shiloh free so she could kill him, and they’re charging her with murder. Jason says that’s why he’s there. Andre ID’d his attacker as Brice. Whoever Brice is working for, wanted Andre dead. Franco says, before Andre could help restore his memory. Jason says Brice’s employer might have also arranged Drew’s plane crash, and Franco asks if he thinks they’re all connected. Jason thinks he knows how they tie together, and Franco might be able to confirm it. He shows Franco a picture of Peter, and asks if he recognizes this guy.

Ava tells Julian, stop hovering; she’s fine. Doc knocks at the door, and Ava says, they have the same voice. Doc shows proof of ID by showing her both hands. Julian never thought he’d say this, but thank God Doc is there. Ava asks if her brother asked Doc to come over, and Doc says, no. Laura thought it would be a good idea to talk to her. Ava says tell Laura thank you, and adds it was less complicated when Laura hated her. Doc asks how she’s doing, and Ava say she’s perfectly fine. She was just telling Julian that she’s not interested in psychiatric care, but he says he’s not there as a shrink. He’s there as a survivor. Julian thinks they have a lot to discuss, and says he’ll give them some privacy. He can be back in a flash if Ava needs him, but she doesn’t think it will be necessary. Julian leaves, and Doc says, so about Ryan…

Martin goes to Kelly’s for take-out coffee. I only include this because I note the to-go cup is a camouflage design, and wonder if that’s on purpose. He approaches Elizabeth, and says he realizes the difficult situation she and her family are in. Scotty asks if Martin doesn’t realizes that he shouldn’t be talking to his client. Martin says his client bears no ill will, and wishes he could spare her any pain. Elizabeth says if that was true, he wouldn’t be representing Franco at all. Scotty says, what’s that he hears? An ambulance? He tells Martin, go catch it, and I almost fall off my chair laughing. Elizabeth says she’ll see him in court, and Martin says, indeed she shall.

Robert sees Laura, and she invites him to join her. She asks how he is. She thought she’d see more of him now that he’s working downtown, not less. Robert says, the law is a relentless taskmaster. She asks how the transition is going, and he says he gets to work with his baby brother, and other dear friends. However, should he ever choose to settle down, Port Charles is in the list of the top 100 places he wants to do it. She laughs.

Finn checks his phone, but still nothing from Anna. He texts Hayden, asking if he can order her coffee the way she likes it. She smiles, and is about to text back, but the phone rings. She asks, what’s up? She says, oh my God, and jets.

Doc tells Ava that Ryan is 100% locked up, but she’s dealing with the ramifications. They can manifest in a number of ways. PTSD can last a long time, sometimes a lifetime. You can’t turn off the fear, but have to face it. Fight without feeding into it. She says, Julian suggested the same thing. Is he sure they’re not in cahoots? He laughs, and says, no. The art world, she loves it It’s not just a front. She says she does, a lot; the spirit and imagination it takes to create. The money is good too, don’t get her wrong. He says, there are a lot of ways to make money. Why did she choose art? She says it speaks to her. It gives her a purpose. He tells her, choose that purpose, the sense of fulfillment when the darkness is chasing her. What Ryan did to her, and for her, isn’t going anywhere, but moving past it and severing every tie, can. That’s the road to freedom.

Laura asks when was the last time Robert stayed anywhere long enough to put down roots. Or maybe found the right person to settle down with. She asks if he’s thinking of running for office, and he says he is. She says they last she checked, he’d be running uncontested. He says, no one wants to be DA where Sonny operates. She’s glad Robert isn’t one to back down. She asks if he won’t make his temporary job permanent. The single ladies of Port Charles are dying to know. He says when she puts it like that, how can he say no?

At the MetroCourt, Curtis tells Finn that he ran into Hayden, and she told him that she was meeting Finn there for breakfast. Finn says she never showed, and Curtis says that might be his fault. Finn asks what Curtis did, and he says when they met, his poker face left the building. He might have tipped her off that something’s up. Finn says, but he wasn’t specific? Finn’s phone rings, and he says, uh-huh. He sees. He tells Curtis, he has to go. If Curtis sees Hayden, make sure she doesn’t skip town.

Doc tells Ava that the process won’t come quickly or easily, but the moment she stops looking over her shoulder, she’ll be free. Ava says, in her experience, that’s the moment Ryan shows up with a butcher knife. Doc says, the last time, Ava stuck it in his back. Ava says that was quite a motivational speech he’s got going on, and he says, Ryan is stuck where he is. Not just physically. He’ll never change or evolve, but if she moves forward with her life, Ryan will never catch up. She says, good point he’s making. He asks if she’s saying he’s right, and she tells him that she’s saying she’s late for work. She’s going to get dressed and go to the gallery. Doc says, baby steps. Don’t expect too much too soon. She says she hates half-measures, but she’ll try. She tells him to thank Laura for her, but do her a favor, and make it sound like it was hard for her to say. She doesn’t want Laura to thinks she’s gone softer than she has. He leaves, and she puts the vodka and martini glass away. Looking at herself in the mirror, she says, you didn’t beat me, Ryan, and you never will. Ava Jerome is very much alive.

Franco tells Jason that he knows this guy. He bought Franco a beer at The Floating Rib. Jason says, this was before, but not in Port Charles. Before that. Franco asks what his name is, and Jason says, Peter August. Franco says, when he saw Peter, he was just out of the hospital. He had a feeling that was less of a memory, and more like déjà vu. Jason asks if Franco has any idea where he saw Peter before.

Julian comes into Kelly’s as Elizabeth and Scotty are leaving. Scotty says there’s some dry toast left if Julian would like it. Julian says, Franco’s hearing is today. How is Elizabeth holding up? Scotty says, solid as a rock. Elizabeth says Julian should know that after she spoke to him, she saw Kim. She tried to reason with her, but Kim insisted on testifying that Franco is now Drew. Julian says he thought she might, and Elizabeth says she knows what it’s like to lose a child. As much as she understands, and doesn’t want to hurt Kim, Scotty is going to do everything to discredit her. Scotty says, to save his son, and Julian says he’d do the same for his kids or a person he loved. Kim needs help, and she’ll never get it. He tells Elizabeth, do what she needs to. She has his blessings. He starts to leave, but says, since they’re talking, there’s something he needs to tell them about Kim.

Laura goes to Dustin’s classroom, and he assumes she’s there to pick up Cameron. She says he could use some support, and he says to give Elizabeth his best. If there’s anything they can do at the school, let him know. She tells Cameron, it’s time to go, and he says, here goes everything. Trina says she’ll call later, and pokes Josslyn, who isn’t paying attention. Josslyn tells him, good luck in court, and he leaves with Laura. Trina asks Josslyn what’s up with her, and Josslyn says, what? She wished Cameron good luck. Trina tells her, that’s all she said. She’s completely checked out, and needs to get over herself after all Cameron did for her and Oscar. The road doesn’t only go one way. Trina leaves, and Josslyn ponders this.

Ava’s windows are now uncovered. She goes out on the terrace, and looks around. She says, here I am, you son of a bitch. Come and get me.

Julian picks up his take-out, and Elizabeth says she can’t imagine it’s easy for him. She thanks him, and he says he just wants Kim to get the help she needs. Elizabeth sees how much Julian still loves Kim, and says she’s sorry Kim isn’t in a place to return the feelings. He says, him too, and she watches him leave.

Franco tells Jason that he feels like he should remember, but sorry, he doesn’t. Jason thanks him for trying. Martin asks if he’s interrupting, and Jason says he was just leaving. Martin asks if that wasn’t Franco’s twin, and Franco says Jason is his brother, but he doubts very much that Jason considers them twins. Martin asks why Jason was there, and Franco says Jason wanted help with him remembering something. Martin asks if he wanted Franco’s help or Drew’s help, and Franco says, his; Drew’s. Martin says, interesting

Scotty tells Elizabeth that he’s feeling good about their chances. She asks if it’s because of what Julian said, and he says he thinks Julian might have just handed them a win.

Finn races to the hospital. He sees Hayden, but says he can’t talk. He has a very sick patient. Hayden says his patient is her daughter.

Tomorrow, Carly says she’s never been more prepared to face the unknown. Elizabeth tells Kim that she wishes there were another way, and Martin tells the court that Franco Baldwin no longer exists.

The Real Housewives of Orange County

Kelly and Braunwyn ride electric bikes. Riding bikes is Kelly and Jolie’s jam, and Kelly is thinking of getting a bike for Brian, now that he’s part of the family. It’s her and Jolie’s fun as a family. She and Braunwyn ride on a tandem bike, with Braunwyn in the back. In her interview, Kelly says she knows they have assistance, but you still have to pedal a little bit. They turn a corner, Braunwyn screams, and a car horn blares. In Kelly’s interview, she says she wants to get Brian a bike for his birthday, but didn’t know she’d almost die in the process. If that doesn’t show love and commitment, what does? They go into the bike store, and Kelly checks one out. Owner/founder Don tells her that it’s $12,000. How can you put a price on fun? Kelly says she can, and he says it’s really $4,400. Braunwyn tells Kelly about her sister coming in for fashion week, and Kelly says she’ll be there. Braunwyn is excited for Rowan. It’s an amazing opportunity that not many people get. If she can knock this out of the park, there’s no telling where she can go. In her interview, Kelly says she likes Braunwyn. She’s a ride or die kind of chick, like her. Kelly is loyal, and when people are loyal to her, they have a friend for life. She appreciates Braunwyn being the same way with her. Braunwyn screams some more on the way back.

Tamra and Ryan go to a laser specialist. Ryan is wearing an American flag shirt and hat, and Tamra finds it comical. She asks when he became so patriotic, and Ryan says, America is always in style. In her interview, Tamra says she never liked Trump as a person, and doesn’t like a lot of the things he does, but she can’t judge her son by his love of Trump. She asks why Ryan got the tattoo he’s having removed; a dollar sign behind his ear. Ryan doesn’t know; money on his mind? He was going through a phase. The older he gets, he wants them covered. In Tamra’s interview, she says she told him this day would come, and he would regret some of the tattoos. She doesn’t know why kids can’t listen to their mothers. The doctor does a laser treatment that doesn’t take much time. Tamra asks if Ryan is okay, and he says his life is up and down. In his interview, Ryan says he never got the building blocks for life. No one set him up for the future. Tamra says she doesn’t want him to end up like she did. It took her a long time to deal with her feelings. In Tamra’s interview, she says she thinks Ryan wanting to remove the tattoos is a sign of growth, but he needs help. She tells him that he has to put himself out there a little, and he says when he’s ready, he will.

Gina thinks it’s time for a change, and stylist Andrea works on Gina’s hair. Andrea says it’s a new phase, and Gina will be ready for Dr. Hottie. Gina tells Andrea that he slid into her DMs. In Gina’s interview, she says it makes her laugh. She’s horrified that she responded, but she’s had a rough year. She needs a date. She tells Andrea that dating is against the rules when you’re married. Someone should have told Matt. In her interview, she says Dr. Hottie is a brain surgeon. He’s smart, witty, and not Matt. He’s good for her right now. Andrea asks if she’s telling Matt, but Gina says he doesn’t know. He’ll be upset, since he wants to get back together. In Gina’s interview, she says she suggested he see a therapist. She’s stuck her toe into the dating world, and wants to explore more. When Andrea finishes, Gina is platinum blonde with very straight hair. I’m not loving it, but she thinks it’s pretty, and that’s what matters.

At Braunwyn’s house, champagne is popped open. In her interview, Braunwyn says, the family supports each other’s highs and lows, and it’s a high today. She’s glad everyone is there. Rowan has been working hard for years on her fashion line, and it’s a big deal. She thanks everyone for flying in from all over the country. She toasts to the coolest effing family ever.

Shannon has her hair and makeup done at home. She thinks Adeline should practice walking; she’s never walked in anything before. She tells the makeup guy that Adeline used to put on her heels when she was still in diapers, and he says, she was made for this. Shannon tells Adeline, more hips. In Shannon’s interview, she says if her kids want to accomplish something, she’s going to help them. Her mother wasn’t hard on her, so she was hard on herself. She was a self-starter, and wants the same for her own children.

Braunwyn gets ready for the fashion show. In her interview, she says she loves fashion. Some of her clothes are cutting edge, but she dresses for herself. Tonight, her look is like a high end big bird. I’d say more Swan Lake. Her skirt is made of white feathers, and the top of the dress is sheer with pearls in strategic places, as well as scattered in a random pattern. In her interview, Braunwyn says she had no clue how depressed Rowan was. OCD manifests in different ways. Dancing put Rowan’s body under a microscope, and she’s either all in or out, so she decided not to eat. She tells Sean that she’d never been so afraid. Sean says when the kids are doing well, he puts more pressure on them. Life is full of ups and failures. Rowan comes in, and Braunwyn says they were talking about how far she’s come. She asks what the hardest part was, and Rowan says losing the part of herself that took so long to come back. Sean says, it’s a big deal. Rowan is dressed in black, and says she and Braunwyn look like an angel and devil. In his interview, Sean thinks this epitomizes their daughter’s success emotionally.

Shannon wants Adeline to practice her runway walk before the show. Rowan is excited, but nervous, and Braunwyn says she’s going to be taking five zillion photos. The look at the pieces in Rowan’s collection, and Braunwyn says they’re mommy approved. Shannon sits with Sophie, and they watch Adeline practice walk. Sophie says, she’s so good, but Shannon isn’t happy, and tells her, get it down. She barks orders at Adeline, telling her to stop smiling, and pop her hip. In Sophie’s interview, she says she thinks Adeline is killing it, and if her mother doesn’t shut her mouth, Sophie is going to shut it for her. Shannon tells Adeline, too fast, and Adeline tells her to stop screaming at her. Shannon says she’s Adeline’s momager, and Adeline needs more pop. Adeline goofs around, making exaggerated moves.

Everyone starts arriving, and it gets crowded pretty fast. Eddie asks Braunwyn if she and Tamra made out. Braunwyn asks him to define making out, and he asks if there was tongue. We flash back to that, and Braunwyn makes a sign indicating a little. I’d hate to see what she considers big. Eddie asks if he can watch, and she says, anytime. Sean explains how the show works, and that they’ll be going to different levels. Dr. Deb asks if Rowan is nervous, and he says, Rowan is so excited, she’s on a high. He’s more nervous than she is. Braunwyn says, Adeline is the youngest model, and Rowan is the youngest designer. Gina shows up, and Braunwyn says she didn’t recognize her. Gina tells Kelly that she needed a change. In her interview, Kelly says, when you’re going through a divorce, ladies, don’t change your hair. Because of low self-esteem, you try to make yourself feel better, and end up making yourself look ugly. Case in point – Gina. I guess I’m not the only one who’s not a fan of Gina’s new ‘do. I’m really not liking her whole look. Dr. Deb suggests Adderall, and Gina says she’ll take anything Deb’s got.

President of OC fashion week, Kathy, gives instructions to everyone. Braunwyn shows the others the row reserved for them. Gina tells Emily that Matt now claims to be heartbroken, and is calling her selfish because she doesn’t want to try again. Emily says she understands as a mother, but if it happens, it should be something that happens down the road. In Emily’s interview, she says, Matt is messing with Gina’s emotions. Emily doesn’t want her to get in a place where she’s not happy and healthy. She tells Gina that Matt was involved with someone else for a long time. It’s not like he met her a couple of weeks ago. Gina says he wants to sweep it under the rug, like everything else.

The show is starting, and everyone moves upstairs for the finale walk. Co-host Crystal tells Braunwyn they can be seated early. Deb needs to use the bathroom, and a security guy grabs her arm, and asks where she’s going. She tells him not to touch her, and the dude argues with her. She tells him, don’t grab her, and don’t disrespect his elders. I’m surprised he didn’t think she was Betsey Johnson. It’s a fashion show for God’s sake. He continues to be stupid, and Kelly’s business partner, Zack, intervenes. Deb tells Kathy what’s going on, and these people must have taken idiot pills because Kathy gets snarky with her. She says, they don’t know who you are, sweetheart. Deb tells Kathy, don’t call her sweetheart. In her interview, Deb says what Kathy meant was bitch. Deb tells Braunwyn about the dude grabbing her on her way to the bathroom, and says then Kathy came after her. Braunwyn asks if Kathy apologized, but Deb says, no, and Braunwyn stomps off to find Kathy. She tells Kathy to apologize, saying, if she doesn’t, it’s going to be a bad night. Kathy tells her to have Deb talk to her, and then she’ll apologize. Braunwyn says, don’t screw up her daughter’s night by attacking her mother. Kathy thinks they don’t have clear communication, and that’s how mistakes get made. She starts getting loud, saying they need to know in advance who’s there. She gets so loud, her voice starts getting squeaky. Kelly comes over and asks why there’s yelling. Kathy says she can be as loud as she wants to. Kelly says Kathy is working, and to be professional. Kathy talks into the mic, saying that she’s working, and can be as loud as she wants, then shoves the mic into Kelly and Braunwyn’s faces. I don’t even know what to think. Is this woman high? Kelly calls her a psycho and a dumbass. Kathy says, defamation, and bumps Kelly’s mouth when putting the mic back in her face. In Braunwyn’s interview, she says she thought it was some kind of misunderstanding. She had no idea this woman would go off the rails. She tells Sean that if she had her way, she’d be in jail, because she’d throw Kathy off the boat. Kelly says Kathy hit her in the face with the mic. Her kneejerk reaction was to slap the sh*t out of her, but there are children around. Kathy says, bitch, as she walks past Kelly, and Kelly says Kathy hit her in the face. Kathy wanders around, talking into the mic, saying she’s sick and tired of things not being true. Braunwyn says, this is why they can’t have nice things. Continuing to speak into the mic, Kathy says starts yapping about one of the designers working against bullying. She says if anyone has ever been abused, they can put hashtag anti-bully on their Instagram feed. Kelly says, hashtag assault, and Kathy says, some people laugh, and make a mockery of it. If anyone has been a witness to verbal abuse, put hashtag anti-bully. Co-host Crystal grabs a mic, and asks if they shouldn’t get to the collection. Everyone applauds, and the first line come out. She introduces Rowan’s line, and everyone cheers. The models walk, and Rowan looks thrilled. The only thing I can figure is, this is a two-bit operation run by wannabes. Not to minimize Rowan’s success, but who ever heard of OC fashion week anyway? It’s a testament to Kelly that she didn’t cause a commotion. She had every right to. There could have possibly been a touch of jealousy on Kathy’s part too, since Braunwyn and family all look fabulous, and she… well, not even close.

Adeline comes out next, and Sophie says she’s going to cry. In Shannon’s interview, she says, watching Adeline walk, stop, and own it, it’s like seeing a different child. Proud doesn’t even describe how she feels. Adeline nailed it. Bam! They walk out together. In her interview, Rowan says it’s the proudest moment of her entire life. Braunwyn says Rowan put her mind to it, and did it. She got lots of congratulations after such a great job. Emily says she gives credit to a sixteen-year-old who not only has a vision, but executes it.

Braunwyn and family get in their limo. Braunwyn tells them about Kathy wanting to fight, and says she tried to kick them off the boat. Rowan is shocked, and Braunwyn says, you don’t mess with her kids. That’s the only thing, and it’s her trigger. Don’t f**k with her family. She repeats that several times. In her interview, she says she didn’t have that kind of protection growing up. There was no one who came to her rescue. She tells them she’s glad she has them all, and says, team Wyndham-Burke!

Emily meets Braunwyn for horseback riding. She tells Braunwyn that she’s been around horses her whole life. Her mother owned a breeding business, and riding as a calming effect. She wants to get back into it. They saunter down a path through the woods, with trainer Brenda in the lead. Emily thinks Annabelle would like riding and they could bond. Braunwyn says it was dance for her and Rowan. Whatever dreams her children have, she supports them. She didn’t have that as a kid. Emily says she didn’t either. She likes that Annabelle is close to Shane. In her interview, Emily says, not having a dad in her life, made her achieve things, so she didn’t have to depend on a man. Braunwyn says they both picked amazing fathers, and Emily says she’s proud of herself. Braunwyn can’t imagine a father figure. In Braunwyn’s interview, she says her father was a bigwig surfer in Hawaii, and a functional alcoholic. Her mom was angry, and made it harder for him to be in her life. As she got older, she realized it’s not okay. Emily says she had a dad, and knew who he was, but her parents divorced when she was six. They talked every six months or so, but there was no father/daughter connection, and she grew up angry. She knows she has anger issues and she’s reactive. She always goes to anger. Braunwyn says her issues are more about abandonment, and doesn’t let people get too close. It took fifteen years for her to let Sean love her, but she knew when she met him that he’d be an amazing dad. Emily says she gave her kids a dad who adores them and is there for them. In her interview, she says, is Shane a good husband? Sometimes. But she puts the needs of her children before her own needs, and she’s okay with that.

Gina uses a curling iron on her hair, while she FaceTimes with Tamra. She says she’s doing all this for therapy with her ex. In Gina’s interview, she says she and Matt are going to therapy for co-parenting. They have a lot of issues, and it’s better to discuss them in a safe environment, so they don’t fight and work it out. She tells Tamra that she wants to look super-hot, but not too hot. She doesn’t want to invite that in. Matt texted her a million times, and then she got snarky and blocked him. Then he called 12,000 times from another number. When she didn’t pick up, he came to the house. Tamra says, unannounced? and Gina says, at 1 am. Tamra says, she didn’t answer, did she? and Gina says she hadn’t locked the door. She was on the phone with Dr. Hottie, and Matt came upstairs. She didn’t know he was in the house, and it was scary. In Tamra’s interview, she says, it’s beyond comprehendible. Gina tells her that Matt said he’s looking for a job in OC. Tamra asks if Matt gets his sh*t together, would Gina attempt to try again? and Gina says she’s not there at all, but doesn’t want regrets because of her kids. Tamra says it will screw with her head. Gina thinks they’ll find out that they’re not supposed to be together, but in an amicable way. Tamra says the ball is in Gina’s court, and Gina says that makes her stressed. Tamra says Gina didn’t do this, Matt did. In Gina’s interview, she says it’s alarming that Matt walked in, but to be honest, it feels good that he cares about her. Her heart wants it, but her brain says don’t fall for the romance novel situation. She thinks she’ll ultimately regret it if she doesn’t follow her heart, even if it’s not the smartest move.

Ryan and Tamra meet for coffee. She asks what he’s been doing, and he says, a whole lot of nothing. In Tamra’s interview, she says she’s worried about Ryan, and wants him to know she’s there. She asks if he’s dating anyone, but he says he’s been secluding himself. He doesn’t want to do anything, and doesn’t find interest in anything. He has zero feeling. Tamra asks what he thinks will make him happy. He says he’s not playing the victim role, but some people had better opportunities to springboard off of. Growing up, his priorities were different because of the situation. Tamra asks if he means Simon. He says when other people were wondering which college to go to, he just wanted out of there. In his interview, he says he was a trial run. No one prepped him for life as an adult. At age eighteen, that was it. We flash back to the Simon days, and Simon telling Ryan those are the rules, and the rules are based on his past. Ryan tells us that they made their mistakes with him, and everyone else got the good stuff. Tamra asks if he got her email, and he says he didn’t read it yet. She says she sent him info about Dr. Machala. If it makes him more comfortable, they can call her a life coach. Ryan says he’s not unhappy, just in a funk. She says it’s hard to see him like this. In her interview, Tamra says, this is really serious, and she’s scared for him. She’s afraid something bad will happen, and this is her last ditch effort to get him to see a professional therapist. She tells Ryan that he’s treading water, and barely staying afloat. It’s no way of life. He says he’s down to talk. Maybe she’ll open his eyes to something he’s not seeing. She tells him to just be as honest as he can, and he says he’s always honest.

Next time, Gina hooks up with someone, Vicki has a tea party, and Gina tells Braunwyn that it’s not about her.

If you haven’t seen it yet, new Bravo series, In a Man’s World, is excellent. Each week, a woman is made up as a man, and sets out to prove gender bias in a different situation. And when I say they’re made up, I mean by professionals, and they’re also coached on movement and voice. There’s no way you’d know it was the same person. So far, they’ve presented Le’Dor, running for city council; Sabrina, who wants to preach from a pulpit; and Shital, who’s Indian culture has caused her own father to treat her like a second class citizen. In Le’Dor’s case, being a mom seemed to work against her, but as a man, having a family was a plus. With Sabrina, it took longer for a congregation to warm up to her as a woman, but she got a better result from the collection basket at the end, which she attributed to her anointing. Shital compared her own birthday dinner, where her father pretty much ignored her, to a dinner where Raj was a guest of her sister (who was in on it), and her father was very interested in talking to him. Her situation made me sad, but in the end, she and her father had a better relationship. I didn’t expect to like this show as much as I did, and can’t wait to see who’s next.

General Hospital

Jason tells a prison guard that he needs privacy to confer with his client. The guard leaves, and Harmony asks when did she become his client, and when did he become a lawyer? He thinks she knows why he’s there. She says he wants to shake her faith in Shiloh, but he can’t. He asks if Shiloh has come to see her. Has he sent a lawyer? Has she heard from him at all? How much faith can she have left?

Dressed in a waitress uniform, Sam introduces herself to Carol. She says she’s sorry she’s late. Her car battery died and she had to get a jump. Carol says she didn’t know they were hiring a new waitress. Sam says she’s temporary, and just there to help.

Kristina tells Alexis that she wants to talk to Neil with her. She wants to share what she said in her Pledge. Alexis says Kristina will have to discuss with Neil. Kristina goes into his office, and tells him she had a breakthrough. As long as she’s hiding something, she’s giving Shiloh power. She needs to tell her mom, but she needs him to be with them. If she doesn’t say something now, she’s afraid she never will. He invites them both in.

Josslyn asks Cameron, since when did his mom and Franco decide on having a reception? He says they kept putting it off, and he was hoping they’d give up, but they’re having it tomorrow on The Haunted Star. Dev wonders what’s terrible about a party. Music, dancing, and free food. Josslyn tells him, stay out of it. Dev thinks she should go with him. Michael comes in, and asks, go where? Josslyn says, none of his business. He can’t barge in on a conversation and start interrogating people. He says she’s right, and that he hasn’t met Dev. Josslyn introduces him as Sonny’s cousin.

At the MetroCourt, Brick asks what Sonny needs, and Sonny says protection for a friend who he wants to be a member of the family. Brick asks, which family? and Sonny says, the Corbins. He wants his friend to be a cousin on his father’s side. His name is Dev Cerci. Brick says, it sounds Turkish, and Sonny says, it is. Dev pickpocketed him, and then saved his life. Brick likes him already, and Sonny says, he needs citizenship sooner than later. Sonny sees Shiloh sitting with Zahra at the bar, and says, son of a bitch. He tells Brick to give him a minute. Brick says, this should be entertaining.

Sonny approaches Zahra, and says he doesn’t think they’ve met. She introduces herself, and he asks what brings her to the MetroCourt? Shiloh says he’s having dinner with his attorney, and Sonny says whatever Shiloh is paying her, he’ll pay her double to quit.

Neil asks if Alexis has any objections to him seeing Kristina with her. She says, no, and he says he’ll facilitate as best he can. Kristina says when Shiloh asked her for a Pledge, he wanted a secret. Looking back, she knows he wanted something to use as blackmail, so that’s what she gave him. Not something he could use against her, but against her mom.

Michael says whatever Cameron is inviting Josslyn to, he thinks she should go. He leaves, and Josslyn says she hopes Cameron doesn’t do that to Jake or Aiden when they’re older. Cameron asks what she means, and she says, assume he knows more about their lives than they do. Michael has no idea, but he pretty much ordered her to go to Elizabeth and Franco’s wedding reception. Dev says the stress of going might crush a fragile flower like her. She should definitely stay home.

Carol tells Sam that they split tips, but Sam says she just started, and doesn’t need Carol’s money. Carol asks why she’s there then, and Sam says, Shiloh. She mentions Carol’s dog, and Carol says she did everything Shiloh said for her to do. She went to prison and kept her mouth shut. Please don’t hurt her dog. Sam says she’s just there to get Carol’s statement.

Jason tells Harmony that he’s Investigating the murder of her late husband Douglas Miller. She says, he wasn’t murdered; he OD’d. Jason asks when she saw him last, and Harmony says that’s none of his business. He says Douglas called her daughter. Shiloh was there, and encouraged her to take the call, then encouraged her to meet him. They were supposed to meet that night, but Shiloh decided to initiate her instead. She asks if Kelly (aka Willow) told him this. He says she led the ceremony, right? While she was drugging and tattooing her own child, Shiloh was murdering her father.

Kristina tells Neil, Kiefer was abusive. The first time, he put her in the hospital, and she covered for him, blaming someone else. When Kiefer beat her up again, her mom found her in an old house by the lake. She was pretty out of it when they were driving to the hospital, and her mom hit Kiefer with her car. Alexis says, it was an accident. It was dark, the middle of the night. She was emotional, and didn’t see him until it was too late. Kristina says she was unconscious, and didn’t see what happened, but she told Shiloh that she did. She lied, and said she was awake and saw Alexis deliberately run him down. She told Shiloh that Alexis did it on purpose.

Billy walks into the diner. He sees Sam, and says she’s not Carol. Sam says, Carol had to check on Jeremy, and Billy asks if Carol mentioned that Jeremy is a dog. Sam says she did, and Billy asks if she can believe the way Carol fusses over him. He introduces himself, and asks what brings her to Beecher’s Corners?

Harmony says Jason is lying. Him being there is a lie. He’s not a lawyer; he’s a killer, a man of violence. He was tried twice for murder. Jason asks how she knows about him, and she says she’s good at research. He’s the one who contacted her before. Jason tells her that Shiloh came after Sam. She’d conned his father, and he tracked her down. He targeted Kristina as a way to get to Sam, and Harmony helped. It’s pretty twisted. She says he doesn’t know anything about them, and he says, her daughter is a different story. She owes her daughter the truth about how her father died.

Dev says he knows receptions are a fun party – he’s crashed a few – but if it’s so boring and difficult for her, stay home. Josslyn says if it was important to Cameron, he would have said so. Dev says he can’t help her if she won’t help herself. Trina walks in, and asks why Josslyn is yelling. Josslyn says Dev is staying with them for the summer. Thank God it’s halfway over. Dev introduces himself, and says Trina has excellent timing. She asks what he did to make Josslyn mad.

Shiloh says Sonny can’t bribe his attorney. Zahra says she does family law, and asks if Sonny needs representation. Sonny says he has joint custody of his little girl, and her mother is a problem. Zahra says it’s tempting, but she has to pass. She has a full case load. He says she looks like someone who likes to work, and she says she is. He says she needs better clients. If she changes her mind… He gives her his card, and goes back to the table. Brick says, Shiloh doesn’t look very happy, and Sonny says, good.

Jason tells Harmony, Shiloh was born David Henry Archer. He was a military contractor, and met Jason’s twin, Drew, in Iraq. Drew saved Shiloh’s life, but Shiloh came back to no money, so he decided to start DOD. Harmony says, he had a spiritual awakening, and Jason asks how long it’s been since she really believed that? Shiloh wrote a book, and gathered followers. She became his fixer, his right hand, and when he wanted her daughter, Harmony handed her over. She knew it was wrong, but had to keep believing. Like an alcoholic, she was afraid to face herself and what she’d done to the people she loves.

Sam tells Billy that she just wanted peace and quiet, and somewhere safe. He asks if she’s heard of Dawn of Day, and she says, no; why? He says, they’re a community service organization. They’re good people, very welcoming. She might want to look them up. Carol comes back, and he says he was just telling Sam about Shiloh.

Neil asks why Kristina chose to lie about the incident, and she says, it was the kind of secret Shiloh wanted, so she pretended she was a witness. He asks how Alexis feels about that, and she says she understands the pressure. She gets that Kristina was desperate to please Shiloh, and was confused, but given everything her father has done, why choose something about her? Kristina says it seemed like less of a betrayal to lie about something that didn’t happen, than say something that might be true about her dad. A simpler explanation is that she wanted Shiloh to think she was important. She’s an idiot. Alexis saved her, and she lied to get Shiloh’s approval. Alexis says it hurt her, but it doesn’t compare to how proud she is of Kristina. She broke Shiloh’s hold over her, and it took courage. She’s not an idiot. She’s brave and smart. Kristina says, not recently, but Alexis says she was smart enough to get help. Lots of smart people, including herself, don’t. Kristina asks if Alexis forgives her, and Alexis says she’s Kristina’s mother. She’ll always forgive her. Kristina hugs her.

Trina asks, why the drama? and Dev says Cameron invited Josslyn to a wedding reception, which she considers a hideous ordeal. Josslyn tells Trina, she never said that. She didn’t even turn him down before Dev barged in making pronouncements. Dev says he was making an observation, and she says, whatever it was, it’s not needed or wanted. They can figure out for themselves if Cameron needs her to go.

Brick asks what Sonny knows about Shiloh. Sonny says, the cops will be sending him to prison, and accidents happen.

Obviously charmed, Zahra asks if Shiloh thinks Sonny breaks out those dimples for every lawyer. She wants to talk about the case, since she’s billing him for her time. He says he found his son; he’s Wiley Cooper Jones. Zahra says knowing that is one thing, but proving it is another.

Sonny asks if Brick remembers locating his cousin Gladys, like it was years ago and not last week. He’s going to say her son got married overseas, and his wife tragically died giving birth. Can he make that work? Brick asks if Dev can pass as an American, and Sonny says, he has a perfect accent from watching TV and movies. They’ll fill in his back story, and grill him until he can pass. Brick doesn’t think it will be easy, but Sonny says, Ankara is on the other side of the world and Dev has been through a lot. He’s resilient and thinks on his feet. Brick asks if he reminds Sonny of someone, and Sonny says, himself. Kids from the streets are all the same. They do what they can to survive. Brick hears that. He asks what Sonny’s plans are for Dev, and Sonny says he wants to get him an education. Brick says, it sounds like a do-over; giving Dev a chance Sonny didn’t have. Sonny says, maybe. Or maybe he just sees potential. Brick says, surprise, surprise.

Shiloh tells Zahra that his son was in front of him for months. He even held him. Once he has Wiley, Willow will have no choice but to come back to him. She asks if his goal is to reclaim his child or his child’s mother, and he says, all of it. He wants the family he was meant to have.

Michael sees Brick and Sonny, and says, sorry to interrupt, but he has a quick question. He stopped by the house, and Josslyn introduced him to Sonny’s cousin. What’s going on there? Sonny says, it’s simple. He’s paying back a debt.

Cameron tells Dev that his mom loves Franco, and his brothers think Franco is great. He doesn’t want to wreck things, so he has to go. It would be great if Josslyn comes, but he won’t have a nervous breakdown if she doesn’t. Dev is right about one thing. There will be music, dancing, and plenty of food. It might actually be fun.

Jason says Harmony gave Shiloh her daughter, and covered for him when he killed her husband. She says, Kelly had doubts about the initiation. She wanted to meet with her father, but Harmony pressured her, telling her it was an honor. She gave Kelly the tea, and put Shiloh’s tattoo on her, knowing she was sending Kelly to Shiloh’s bed. She thought that’s why Doug killed himself; the pain of what she did to his daughter was too much for him. Jason says she can still do what he wanted. She can still protect their daughter from Shiloh. She asks what he wants her to do.

Billy tells Sam that Carol is a member of DOD. Carol says, they do outreach for the underserved. Billy adds, they have classes and social events. It’s a good way to meet people. Carol tells him, no charge, but he pays anyway, saying they deserve the tip. Sam hopes to see him at a social event, and he says he’ll find her again. Don’t worry. He leaves, and Sam asks if everything was okay with Jeremy. Carol says he was curled up, snoozing. She’s sorry she didn’t believe Sam when she said wouldn’t hurt him. Sam says she had every right. She’s been lied to by many people. Carol says, not Sam, Michael, or Jason. They told her the truth. Now it’s her turn.

Brick asks Sonny, what if Dev gets picked up, panics, and tells the truth? Sonny says, he won’t. He doesn’t know Dev well, but Dev saved his life.

Zahra tells Shiloh that they have a lot of hurdles to get over before a family reunion. It’s not easy to prove. Shiloh takes out the burp cloth, and says he grabbed it from Brad. They can do a DNA test. She says, it won’t be admissible. At best, they can get a judge to order a second one. He asks why she’s so negative, and she asks if he was paying attention at the hearing. Willow’s attorney will use the laws to fight his every step.

Kristina sees Sonny’s table, and says she hit the jackpot. Sonny says, what’s up, firecracker? She notices Shiloh, and asks what he’s doing there. Sonny says, take it easy, and she says she’ll be right back. Brick says, it looks like Shiloh needs to choose another restaurant.

Kristina asks why Zahra is sitting with this sleazy perv. Shiloh says his son will soon be returned to him, and Kristina says, don’t bet on it.

Josslyn tells Cameron that she’s not ready. She went to the Nurses Ball and sang because Oscar wanted her too, but she was miserable the whole time. She thanks him for the invite, but no. Cameron says, no big deal. Trina says her mom is having a responsible parent moment. She hopes it passes soon, but she has to go. She’s calling an Uber, and offers to drop Cameron off. She tells Dev, nice to meet him, and he says, the pleasure was his. Trina and Cameron leave, and Josslyn asks if Dev was flirting. He says he was being polite, and she says he was being obnoxious. He asks if Michael didn’t say to be kinder and less judgmental. She suggests he work on being less annoying.

Jason says, on August 4^th, 2014, Harmony’s daughter told her that she was meeting her father. Did anyone else know? Harmony says, Shiloh. He told her that her daughter’s initiation was that same night, so Harmony pressured her to cancel with her father. Kelly was reluctant, but eventually agreed. Jason asks when the initiation began, and she says, 9 pm. He asks where Shiloh was, and she says he escorted Kelly to the initiation, per tradition, and wished her a joyous transformation. He said he’d be with her afterwards, and left until midnight, also traditional. Then, he’s left alone with the initiate. Jason says, he had a three hour window. Plenty of time to go to Douglas’s hotel room and kill him.

Carol reads her statement as Sam films it. She says that Shiloh said she could save him. The police would believe her, and if she made the sacrifice, he would go free.

Alexis goes back to Neil’s office, and thanks him for the session with Kristina. He’s been both a translator and referee. She doesn’t think they’d be in the place they are now without his help. He says they did the work, and she says she seriously apologizes for intruding on his life. Her friend saw them together, misconstrued their relationship, and checked his background. She knows that doesn’t absolve her. She chose to look and deeply regrets it. He says, so does he.

Michael wants to stop Kristina, but Sonny says, let her speak.

Kristina says Shiloh belongs in prison for attempted rape, among other things. He says, the charges were dropped. She tells him Sam will be thrilled to testify against him, and if he thinks he can blackmail her, think again. She burned her Pledge, and told her mother what was in it. By the way, she lied to impress him. How sad is that? He says what’s sad is the progress she’s lost. She says the karma he teaches about is a bitch, and it’s coming back to him. She walks away, and Zahra says, she’ll make a compelling witness, but Shiloh says nothing matters except getting a DNA test to prove his son is Wiley. Brick wonders where Kristina got her fire from. She says from her dad, and hugs Sonny.

Alexis tells Neil, the truth is, she finds him easy to talk to. She’s able to share things she’s not able to share with other people. He’s glad she found their sessions productive, but a sound patient/therapist relationship only works if there’s trust on both sides, and he doesn’t trust her anymore. She says she realizes she didn’t solely relate to him as a therapist. She thinks of him as a friend. The irony is that she has friends, but needs a good therapist. She’ll miss this. He asks, how’s Tuesday at five? and she says she’ll be there.

Trina asks if Cameron wants to go to Perks or the park. He thought she had to go home, but she says, it was just an excuse to leave and give Josslyn room to change her mind. Cameron doesn’t want Josslyn to change her mind. He doesn’t want her to be miserable. Trina says, Josslyn isn’t afraid of that. She’s afraid of having fun. It will mean she’s moving on. Cameron asks if Josslyn told her that or she’s guessing. She says she pays attention and picks up on things. That’s how she knows he’s dreading the reception. He shouldn’t have to face it alone, so she’ll be his date, but she’s warning him that she’ll expect to dance. He says he’s not good dancer, and she says, tough.

Josslyn sees Dev eating a bowl of ice cream, and says, he just helped himself? He says he made her one too, but she says, that’s not the point. This isn’t his house. He asks if he’s supposed to stay in his room, and she says she didn’t say that. He shouldn’t serve himself. He says he was in the right place at the right time, and did a favor. If he gets deported tomorrow, at least he’ll have had ice cream tonight. She supposes she shouldn’t let it go to waste, and sits across from him.

Sam thinks the video will be enough to get a judge to issue a subpoena for Carol to come to Port Charles and issue an official statement. Carol says, it might sound crazy… and Sam says, of course (🍷) you can bring your dog. Carol says, not everyone in DOD is bad. Most of them are decent people who lost their way, like she did. Shiloh gave them a place to belong. Sam says he’s the one who took advantage of them. He’s at fault, and the tide just turned against him.

Jason tells Harmony the body was discovered, and Shiloh was arrested. What did she do then? She says she told one of the faithful, Carol, that Shiloh needed to see her. She went in alone, and when she came out, she confessed. Jason asks where Carol was that night, and Harmony says, at the initiation with the rest of the Trust. Jason asks if Carol had access to the drug that killed Douglas, but she says, Carol didn’t even know what it was. He asks if anyone else had access, and she says it’s the same drug Shiloh had her put in the tea to calm the initiates and lower their resistance. He asks where they got it. She tells him, a pharmacy. Shiloh has a prescription. Jason asks what name he used, and she says, his real name, David Henry Archer.

On Monday, Ava tells the psychic that she came to talk about Kiki, Brad tells Julian that Shiloh thinks Wiley is his son, and the wedding reception finally happens.
