What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Portia comes into The Savoy, and tells Curtis that she was glad to get his text. He says he’s sorry, and she asks, why? He says because he asked her to come down there, now he’s all caught up with this. She says, no big deal. Is there a problem with the club? He says, it’s not the club; he’s on a case. She says she thought he left all that P.I. stuff behind him, and he says, he did, but this one’s personal. Did he ever tell her about his good friend Drew Cain? She says, he was Oscar’s dad, right? Sam’s ex? He says, he disappeared in a plane crash a few years ago. Sam has reason to believe he’s still alive. So going with that theory could set them up for some really good news, or something really disappointing. Sam comes in.

Josslyn comes into the living room with Trina, and says, good morning, bride-to-be, and Carly says she only slept a little. Josslyn says her too; she’s so excited. Trina wanted to say hi before Carly’s big day. Trina says, happy wedding, and Carly thanks her. Trina says she knows Carly and Jason are going to be really happy together, and Carly says, that’s the plan.

Jason sits in the interrogation room at the station, when Dante comes in. He says, sorry. Jason wasn’t the one who wanted to fight, but he’s the one they got ahold of. Previous charges were dropped two months ago, but the DA wants to go over the entire incident report. It’s bureaucratic BS. Jason tell him, don’t worry about it. He doesn’t want special treatment. Dante says he’s not giving any to Jason. Here they are again. On opposite sides, when there’s so much that connects them. It’s too bad Jason doesn’t just ditch the career criminal thing. They could break bread one of these days.

On the terrace, Trina tells Josslyn that her dad was asking all kinds of questions about the sauce. It must have been a big hit. Josslyn says, yeah… and Trina asks if it went bad or something, but Josslyn says, no. The sauce was delicious. She knows it’s going to sound insane, but that sauce tasted exactly like Sonny’s.

Nina gets to the Tan-O, but before she goes inside, she flashes back to Sonny telling her that he’s in love with her. She goes inside, and says, oh my God. What happened? There’s lumber and boxes everywhere, and Sonny says, Lenny left them a surprise.

Jordan and Shawn go through papers, and Jordan says, none of these names are ringing any bells. She’s sorry, but they might have to brace themselves for the possibility that the manifest from Naomie’s flight is another dead end. He says, there has to be something in there to lead them to Hayden’s shooter, because whoever it was, wanted her dead so badly, when he started asking questions six years later, they offed her mother. To go through that much trouble, this person has something major to hide, and he wants to find out what it is.

Nikolas and Spencer sit at a table by the pool (🍷), and Spencer takes a selfie. He says, Esme wanted them to have a fun day, and Nikolas says he is. Spencer says he looks like he’d like to be literally anywhere else. Nikolas says he’s sorry. The six weeks are up, and as soon as Ava gets Scotty back to work, their divorce is going to be finalized. Forgive him if he’s not in a festive mood, but he’d understand if Spencer is.

On he phone at the gallery, Ava says she knows the paperwork is ready, but she’s just not ready to go through with it yet… Does it sound like she cares what they think? She hangs up, and someone startles her.

Sam says Curtis told her that he has an update on a lead, and he says he talked to the nurse who took care of Nina at Creighton-Clark. She gave him the contact information of a guy she worked with in the records department. Apparently, he dealt with both patients and the record company. Sam says, that’s amazing, and Curtis says, there’s just one catch.

On the phone, Dante says, there is no charge… He would, but the system’s down. He can’t have access and needs authorization, so can they put it through?… There’s nothing to resolve. He’s not going to prison. It was a drunk and disorderly, so make it happen. He hangs up, and says he hopes this doesn’t ruin Jason’s wedding day. Jason says, it is what it is. As for him, he just has to put a suit on. Dante sits down, and asks if Carly is going to make Jason wear a tie, but Jason doesn’t know. He guesses he’ll find out when he opens the garment bag. He says, it must be strange to Dante; him marrying Carly after all the years she was married to Sonny. Dante says, not really. He thinks Sonny would approve. It was always the three of them, since Dante was working undercover. They were a unit – Jason, Sonny, and Carly. He remembers being amazed at how devoted Jason and Carly were to Sonny. Jason says, it’s because of everything Sonny did for them. He was a great friend, a great mentor, just a stand-up guy. Dante says, he didn’t see it that way. When he first got there, all he could think was about sending Sonny to prison. So he put that case together against him, but… Even then, there were days he didn’t want to do it. He shot at Sonny many times, even though Sonny was his father. Jason says, Dante didn’t think of him that way yet, and Dante says, no. Finally, all these years later, he’s glad he didn’t put Sonny away.

Carly flashes back to Jason saying they’ll be each other’s safety net; that he needs her to stand by him, no matter what. She says, always, and he says, they’ll figure the rest out later. The doorbell rings, and Carly opens the door to Monica, who says she knows it’s a busy day, but she wonders if Carly has the time to talk.

Sonny tells Nina that Lenny always complained about the ceiling. She says, he mentioned there was a bad leak a couple of years ago; the plywood is rotten and beams have to come down. Sonny says, Lenny assigned him to it. Lenny was going to take down the wallpaper and paint the whole place. He ordered the supplies before he got his diagnosis, and the lumberyard order came this morning. The rest is coming later. She asks if it can be returned, but he says, a lot of it is custom, but Lenny wanted it, so he feels like he owes Lenny to give it to him. She says, in the meantime, there’s not a lot of room for customers, but he says he doesn’t think that’s going to be a problem for Phyllis. She says, Phyllis isn’t in a rush to open it without Lenny. It’s just another argument for renovation. If the Tan-O opens with a different look, there won’t be so many memories attached. I’m thinking, maybe he should ask Phyllis about it first, but he says, now Nina knows what he’s planning to do for the next two or three months. If she wants, she can pitch in. She runs a magazine and has great taste as a designer consultant. That is, if he didn’t scare her off.

Josslyn asks Trina, what’s up with her? Something is obviously wrong. Trina says, it’s nothing. She guesses she’s feeling guilty. Josslyn says, about what? and Trina says, not liking Spencer’s girlfriend. Josslyn says, don’t.

Ava says Esme scared her half to death, and Esme apologizes. She says she’s been told she has a knack for sneaking up on people. She swears it’s not intentional. She introduces herself, and Ava says she’s Spencer’s friend. Esme says Spencer is her boyfriend. Spencer’s told her so much about Ava; it’s nice to meet her face to face. Ava says, it’s her pleasure, and asks what she can do for Esme. Esme says she’s thinking of purchasing a piece. Her parents strongly advised her to invest in artwork as she got older. Ava says she sounds like she was born into money, and Esme says, yes and no. Her parents couldn’t have children of their own, so she and her siblings were adopted. Ava says, adopted and rich; lucky her. Esme says she’s quite fortunate, and Ava says, it sounds like she had a happy home. Esme says, she supposes everyone was happy enough. Her parents were cool with each other. There was love there, but nothing like Ava and Spencer’s father.

Trina tells Josslyn, Esme’s been nothing but nice to her. She doesn’t know why she doesn’t like Esme. Maybe it’s because she’s into Spencer. Josslyn says, Trina doesn’t like Esme because there’s nothing to like, and Trina asks Josslyn to tell her how she really feels. Josslyn says, she’s a bitch with a capital B. Trina’s seen the way she treats Spencer, like he’s her property. She’s clearly threatened by Trina. Trina asks if she thinks so, and Josslyn says, it’s so obvious. So don’t trick herself into looking for something that isn’t there. Sweet innocent Esme doesn’t exist.

Esme says, Spencer told her all about Ava and his dad, and she has to admit it’s romantic. Nikolas doesn’t want to let Ava go, and it would have to be something uber extreme to get him to stay away. Ava says she just wasn’t sure how far she wanted to take it… Unfortunately, all of her pieces are spoken for. Esme says, too bad. Let her know if anything changes. Ava says she certainly will, and Esme says, safe travels. Ava thanks her, and Esme leaves. Ava makes a call, and says, that thing they talked about? She’s convinced. Do it.

Nikolas says, before he disappeared, he doesn’t think Spencer is aware of how far he’d fallen. He crossed some serious lines, and did some unforgivable things. Spencer says, like what? and Nikolas says he doesn’t want to go into details, but he was a bad person. Ava motivated him to change his ways. Spencer can think what he wants about her, but Ava is the reason he’s more the man and father Spencer remembers, and not the man he became during those dark times.

TJ comes into Jordan’s office, and she says, what a surprise. He says, even though he’s about to cancel their dinner? and she says, never mind; get out. They hug, and Shawn comes over. TJ asks, what’s going on? and Shawn says he’s helping Jordan with an investigation. TJ asks if that isn’t a little out of his wheelhouse, but Shawn says, it could lead to finding out who shot Hayden Barnes. TJ says he thought Shawn decided to move on with his life, and Shawn says, he did, but some things need closure, and this is one of those things. His guilt became a shield that prevented a real investigation, and from him being a father. TJ says Shawn taught him to drive. He taught TJ to shave and put on a tie, and TJ asked Shawn about his first girlfriend. He’s not saying Shawn shouldn’t pursue this – he thinks Shawn should – but don’t forget he was TJ’s father in all the right ways, even before they knew it.

Dante tells Jason, that’s a helluva thing for a cop to say, huh? He believes in the law, but didn’t apply it in that instance. Jason says he thinks it’s Dante’s call. Who was he hurting? He’s the one who got shot. If Dante didn’t want to turn Sonny in, or wanted to cover for Sonny because Sonny was his friend, that’s his decision. Dante says he doesn’t regret protecting Sonny, and Jason says, that’s good, because all of their lives would have taken a completely different path if he hadn’t. Dante says he doesn’t think he’s had a chance to wrap his mind around the fact that Sonny is gone.

Monica says she realized she’d never given Jason and Carly her blessing. Not that Carly needs or wants it. Carly says Monica doesn’t have to pretend to like her. She gets it; Monica is AJ’s mom. She doesn’t expect Monica to see the issues they had from her side. Monica says, that’s just the thing. With the truth coming out about Austin, it occurred to her that the Quartermaines can be very cruel to each other, and causes a lot of pain; the cheating, the backstabbing, the blackmailing. But they manage to get past it because they’re family. Whether she likes it or not, that’s what Carly is about to become.

Sonny says he knows he put Nina on the spot when he told her that he loved her. She says, there he goes again, and he says, sorry; he can’t help it. She says she was wrestling with all this last night, and he says he didn’t mean to make her wrestle. She says she knows he didn’t, and he says he just had to tell her how he felt. He doesn’t want her to feel pressure to feel the same, but she says, how could she not feel the same way? Geez. I feel the same way. Sonny looks hot all scruffy.

Shawn says they’re low on coffee, and leaves to get refills. TJ looks at Jordan, and she says, what? He says, come on. Since when does she add civilians to police investigations? She says she enlists outside investigators all the time, and he says, which Shawn is not. She asks, what’s his point? and he says she’s bending a lot of rules, and he knows in a large part that’s because of him. He thanks her, and she says, she does love him little bit, so… He says they’ve been talking a lot about Shawn’s role in his life, but he doesn’t want her to forget how important she is to him; what a spectacular mom she is. She’s his hero. She says, she is? Does he have any idea how proud she is of him? He’s her son, the doctor. He’s the smartest, most compassionate, loyal, and loving person she knows. There is very little credit to be had here. He is who he is because he’s an extraordinary person. To whatever extent she was able to guide, love, and support him, it’s the best thing she’s ever done. He’s the best thing she’s ever done. They hug, and she says she loves him so much. He says he loves her too.

Sam asks Curtis, what’s the problem? Is this guy far away or something? Curtis says, somewhere near the Finger Lakes (upstate NY), and Portia says, that’s lucky. Curtis says, they’re asking for access corporate and patient files. This guy was hesitant about releasing them unless they meet in person. Sam says, great. Finger Lakes, here we come. Portia asks if these are medical files he’s talking about, and Curtis says, some of them. She says, then he’s going to need to fill out a HIPPA form, unless he has a doctor with him. Sam says, how convenient. They have a great doctor right here.

Dante tells Jason, he was barely home when Sonny disappeared, and he was so messed up before he went away. Not that there was anything wrong between him and Sonny, but all the good stuff had dwindled before they had a chance to rebuild it. Go to a Yankees game, have a meal, be with Rocco together… Jason says, all the things that make them see what they have in common, and Dante says he never knew Sonny the way most kids know their dad, but he grew to admire Sonny, and look up to him more like a father/friend. Jason says, they called each other brothers, but it was also father and son. (Ha-ha! I typed don by accident.) Aside from Carly, Sonny was the first person to treat him with respect. Dante says, after his accident? and Jason says, yeah. Sonny taught him so much. Not a lot of people approve of it, but he was always grateful, and it was always his choice. Sonny didn’t force a gun in his hand, but Sonny made sure he knew how to pick one up. Dante guesses his line work isn’t what Sonny would have chosen for him, and Jason says, did Sonny wish Dante wasn’t a cop? Yeah. Dante was his son. He didn’t want to be in opposition of Dante. He didn’t want Dante to lie or look the other way; it’s not a comfortable place to be. Dante says, it’s not, and Jason says, Sonny admired Dante; his courage, honor, and commitment to his job. Most of all, he respected Dante, and that means a lot. Dante says, that’s how he knows Sonny would be okay with Jason marrying Carly. He respected Jason more than anyone. Dante’s phone rings, and he says, here we are. Jason is finally free to go. They shake hands, and Dante says, good luck. Jason thanks him and leaves.

Carly hesitates to remind Monica, but it’s not the first time she’s marrying into the Quartermaines. Monica says, they remember, and Carly says, they weren’t exactly welcoming. Monica says she thinks she was girding herself for the pain she knew Carly’s marriage to AJ would cause. Not just because of AJ’s troubles, or the fact they were so good at exploiting each other’s weaknesses. Carly says, they were experts, and Monica says, it was crystal clear to everyone back then, including AJ – maybe especially AJ – that her heart belonged to Jason. And Jason, for all he loved Robin, it was clear their bond was unbreakable.

Nina tells Sonny was the last thing she was expecting when she walked in; to find him. She saw him as a sign that she… He taught her that we don’t have to be stuck in the circumstances of our lives. If we just let go of the baggage of the past, we find out who we are inside. He taught her that. This place has really become her home, and he’s an enormous part of that. There are a million reasons why they shouldn’t be together. All those reasons, and the fear that what they have will collapse when he finds out who he is; with all of that, she still can’t stay away from him. There’s a lot of risk and vulnerability when you open your heart to someone, and she’s willing to do that with him. If that’s not love, she doesn’t know what is. He asks what she’s saying, and she takes his hand. She tells him, what she’s saying is, she loves him too.

Trina tells Josslyn, Esme said something she can’t get out of her head. She called Kiki Loren. No one ever called Kiki that. Not the staff at GH, not her mom, no one. How did she know that was Kiki’s name? Josslyn says, maybe she read it in the article about Ava’s car being lit on fire, but Trina says, the article referred to her as Kiki. Josslyn says, maybe some other legal document? She looks at her phone, and says, it doesn’t seem to be bothering Spencer. He’s busy taking selfies at the MetroCourt pool (🍷). Trina says, of course (🍷) he is. Enough about Esme. Josslyn needs to get ready for her mom’s wedding. See her there? Josslyn says she can’t wait. They hug, and Trina leaves.

Spencer asks if Nikolas thinks absolution is possible without atonement, and Nikolas guesses not. Spencer says he thinks they better talk about something… Esme interrupts, saying, she’s sorry she’s late. Nikolas looks fabulous. Nikolas thanks her, and asks if they need anything from the bar, but they’re both good. He leaves, and Esme says she knows that look. Spencer is second guessing breaking up Ava and his father, isn’t he?

A woman sees Nikolas, and says she knows him. She’s seen his face in The Invader. He’s Nikolas Cassadine. Nikolas confirms he is, and she asks him to hold a paper. He takes it from her, and she thanks him, saying, he’s just been served.

Shawn comes back, and TJ says he has to run. He needs to get to the hospital, but a raincheck on dinner. Jordan says, absolutely. Shawn says he’s not sure how Jordan takes her coffee, so he brought a little of everything, which is impossible since he only has two cups with him. TJ says he has to run, but good luck. Shawn thanks him, and TJ leaves. Jordan says, she did one thing right, that’s for sure. Her phone rings, and she answers. She writes something down, and says, great intel; thanks. Shawn says, good news? and she says, the passenger next to Hayden’s mother wasn’t a stranger. They booked their seats together. Shawn says, so they’re close enough to travel together, but he’s nowhere to be found after Naomie dies. She says she’s got his address, and Shawn asks if she feels like a road trip.

Sam tells Curtis, Portia coming with them might be their best shot. He’s more inclined to trust them if they have a doctor with them. If it’s okay with Portia. Portia says she doesn’t want them to break the law. If she can help, she’s in. Curtis asks if she’s sure, and she says, yeah. Sam says, let’s go, but Curtis says, hold on. He was thinking Sam should stay. Sam asks, why? and he says he knows it’s important to her, but think about it. A bunch of people showing up could scare him away. If it’s just him and Portia, he can hide under the radar as the doctor’s boyfriend, and he’ll never know Curtis is a P.I. Sam says, it makes sense, and he says he’ll keep her posted. She thanks him, and tells him, good luck. Portia asks if Curtis wants to drive, or should she, and he says, he’ll drive. She says, of course (🍷).

Sonny asks if this is really happening, and Nina says, it is. Him without a past, and her, trying desperately to forget hers. He says, they shouldn’t fit, but somehow they do, and she says, she was broken, and he put her back together. It’s a huge gamble, and she doesn’t know how they’ll last, but she wants, she needs to see this through. Sonny tells her to say it again; she knows what part he wants to hear again. She says she loves him. She doesn’t know what to do with that. They kiss.

Carly says Monica is right. Her heart belonged to Jason fully and completely, and she screwed it up big time. She could have lost him forever, but instead they landed in this beautiful place. He’s the best friend she’s ever had. Monica tells her that she’s sure Jason would say the same about her, and Carly says she appreciates Monica coming to see her. Monica says she’s really glad, because it could have totally gone the other way. They’re never going to be best friends, but for Jason and Michael’s sake, Monica would like to try and be civil in-laws. Carly says she’d really like that, and Monica says, then she’ll see Carly at the wedding. Carly says, of course (🍷), and Monica says, it’s interesting, all Carly went through to secure Jason’s love back then, and she finally gets it now. Monica leaves, and Carly ponders this.

Jordan tells Shawn, sorry, but she’s going solo. He says didn’t they agree to work together, and she says, to the extent that they could, but he’s not a cop and he’s not a P.I. He has no legal standing. On top of that, he and Sam were the last people to see Naomie Dreyfuss. And they both discovered her body. If she includes him to go interview a person of interest… He says, it starts to feel like a cover up, and she says, at the very least. Or it could taint the investigation, or even be grounds to have potential evidence or testimony thrown out. He says he definitely doesn’t want that, and Jordan says, if it leads to anything, he’ll be the first to know. She promises. He says, so she’s going alone, and she tells him that she already said that. He says, now? and she says, no time like the present. He tells her, be careful, and she says she’s got this. It’s not her first investigation. She’s a professional. He says, be careful anyway, and she says she will, and heads out.

Spencer tells Esme, his dad was on some guilt trip that went way over his head, but he realized they’ll never be able to have a true, honest relationship with this secret between them. She asks if he could have a relationship with Nikolas if he stays with Ava. He has to pick his poison. There’s no way he can live with his father if his father is still with Ava. If she had to guess, she’d say he’d probably get used to keeping a secret from him. And if he’s having a tough time, he’s got her. She’s always looking out for him. She said that earlier when she went to see Ava. Trina comes in, and says, what about Ava?

Nikolas asks what the hell the woman is talking about. She starts to walk away, and he looks at the paper, and says, wait. This is a restraining order. His wife got the court to say he has to stay 100 feet away from her, and he’s just hearing about it now? She must have filed the paperwork days ago. The woman says, the state of New York allows for the filer to choose the method of delivery and notification. Have a nice day. He says, you’ve got to be kidding me.

Sam finds Dante at the station, and asks if he has any leads. Curtis is following up Drew’s case, but he doesn’t want her there. She can’t go with him because he doesn’t want her to scare the guy off. Dante says she is pretty scary, and she says she thought maybe the two of them could figure out another path to go down. She really thinks there’s a connection between Drew’s flight and Leethy Unlimited. He asks if she wants to wait and see what Curtis comes back with, but she says she can’t just do nothing. He says, in general or today?

Josslyn walks into the living room looking at her phone. She says she just heard from Olivia. She’s running late because of Leo. She looks up, and there’s no Carly. She says, mom?

Trina asks Esme, why bother Ava when she’s trying to pack up her life? and Esme says she wasn’t trying to bother Ava. She was just wishing her well before she left. Overprotective, aren’t we? Spencer says, Trina and Ava got close when Trina worked for Ava. She’s Trina’s mentor. Esme says she’s sure Trina is like a daughter to Ava, especially after Kiki passed away. Trina asks if she means Loren. That’s what she called Kiki the other day. Esme says, her given name, and Trina says, and the name on her hospital ID badge. The one they found near Ava’s car where it was burnt to a crisp.

Ava puts her keys in her bag, when Nikolas comes into the gallery. She says he cannot be there, and he says, because of this? He holds up the paper, and says, a restraining order? Why? Because she’s worried he won’t stay away, or she knows she can’t?

Standing on a porch, Jordan checks the address on her phone. She tries the door, but it’s locked. She goes to a window, and tries that, but it doesn’t budge. Curtis says, Jordan, startling her. She turns around, and Curtis is there with Portia. He asks what she’s doing there, and she says, working on a case. He says, so are they.

Sam asks, what’s special about today? and Dante says, really? She says, oh. He means Carly and Jason’s wedding. He says, yeah, that, and she says, would she like to escape the buzz? Yes. Would she like to focus on something else? Also yes. He says, you know what? He thinks he’s got a solution for that.

Jason walks in, and tells Josslyn, don’t worry. He’s just there to pick up his suit. He’s not going to mess with tradition, and try to see her mom. She says, that’s not going to be a problem. Her mom is gone.

Sonny and Nina are still kissing, and she says, so what now? He says he’s thinking this occasion calls for going to Philadelphia. She laughs, and says, why? He says he thinks they should find a restaurant, listen to some music afterwards, and just do it up. She says, okay. She loves that idea. He says, he has to get some stuff organized and sorted out, but he’ll be at her place in a couple of hours. She says she can’t wait, and he leans in for a kiss, but she pulls back. She says she’ll see him later. She leaves, and walks out, smiling. Until she sees Jax.

Tomorrow, Esme suggests she and Trina talk about the big fat elephant, Ava asks who’s going to keep her safe from Nikolas, Jax says his business is Nina and what she’s been up to, and Sonny asks if someone has a problem with his name.

👠 The Two Toms did a Vanderpump Rules watch party, watching themselves in drag, while in drag. Host Tom S. was a fail, since he was sporting a mustache, but Schwartz looked quite cute. The VPR episode also including LVP first discussing the partnership for TomTom with Ken. And the best thing of all? Giggy! Oh, how he’s missed.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

At The Savoy, Curtis tells Nika that he just got confirmation the party is on their way. She says she can’t believe three guys booked the club for the whole night. He says, believe it, and tells her to make sure the drinks are filled and everyone is having a good time. Sam comes in, and tells Curtis that she has news about Drew’s plane crash. He suggests they go someplace else, and she says they don’t have to go anywhere; it won’t take long. He says he might not have to, but she might want to.

Dante sits at the MetroCourt bar, when Olivia comes in. He says he didn’t think she was working tonight, and she says she’s not. She’s on her way to Carly’s bachelorette party. She’s helping set it up, and has a surprise that’s going to blow Carly’s mind. So, is he seeing Sam tonight?

On the phone, Brando tells his boss that he’ll do what he’s paid for. Doesn’t he always?

Sasha sees Willow arriving at the party by the pool (🍷), and says she wasn’t sure Willow was going to be there between nursing school, Wiley, and everything else she’s got going on. Willow says, when Olivia invited her, she decided she was going to treat herself to a break. She doesn’t know if anyone told Sasha, but there’s definitely good news; Chase can walk again. Sasha says, fantastic, and Willow says she’s so happy for him. Sasha asks if something else is going on, and Willow says, Chase learned she and Michael were together before they could tell him themselves. Sasha says she’s so sorry, and Willow says she put off telling Chase, and only ended up hurting him worse. Sasha says, it was an impossible situation; she did the best she could. If Chase doesn’t realize that now, she’s sure he will eventually in time. Please tell her that she and Michael are happy. Willow says, very happy. What about Sasha and the baby? Sasha says, the baby is fine, and Willow says, and the mommy? Sasha says she’d feel better if she knew for certain Brando isn’t working for the mob again. Josslyn and Bobbie come by, and Josslyn says, Carly is on her way. Bobbie tells them to get ready, and Carly walks in. They yell, surprise!

Curtis tries to steer Sam away, and she asks, what is this? Why is she suddenly not welcome there? He says he’ll explain it later, but right now he has to get her out of there. Spinelli comes in with Michael, saying, a proper sendoff is in order, and a proper sendoff he shall have, and Michael says, it’s what his dad would have wanted. Spinelli sees Sam, and says, greetings and salutations, fair Samantha. Forgive him for asking, but what is she doing there? She asks if she’s not supposed to be there, when Jason walks in. Curtis says, this is why he wanted her out of there, and Michael tells Jason, one drink, a couple of toasts, and they’re gone. Spinelli says, maybe two drinks… Okay, one drink is acceptable. The point is to celebrate Jason’s nuptials. Jason looks trapped.

Phyllis sees the outside table, and tells Mike/Sonny, it looks lovely; like an outside café. They could be in Paris instead of Nixon Falls. He says it was his idea. His first official date with Nina. She asks how it went, and he says, it was great… until they ran into a roadblock. He doesn’t think there’s any way around it.

Ava asks what Jax could possibly have to say to her about Nina, and he says, it’s about his visit to her in Nixon Falls. She says she heard the highlights. He played the hero, and two robbers got shot in the process. He says he stopped one of the robbers, and Nina’s new boyfriend stopped the other. She says, the mysterious new boyfriend. The one who replaced him. Jax asks what Ava knows about him.

Spinelli says, libations are certainly in order. Can they head to the bar? Sam asks if she can speak to the man of the hour, and Jason tells Spinelli to order him a beer. Michael urges Spinelli toward the bar, and Sam tells Jason, tomorrow’s the big day. He says, it is, and she says she’s sure the wedding will be everything he and Carly want. He says, Maxie is working on it, and she says she’s sure Maxie is. She wishes them all the best. He thanks her, and says he wishes the same for her. He goes to the bar, and Curtis asks if Sam is okay. She says she will be. She’s had a lot of time to digest that Carly and Jason are getting married. Carly has always been really important to Jason, so was Sonny. Most of the time, Jason chose Carly first. Now he doesn’t have to choose anymore.

At the bar, Spinelli says, it never occurred to him that fair Samantha might be there, and Jason says, it’s fine. Michael says, it’s still pretty awkward. Jason didn’t want a bachelor party in the first place. Jason says, actually, he was wrong. He and Carly are getting married tomorrow; it deserves to be celebrated. They clink glasses.

Carly says, oh my God. How did she not know they were planning this? Josslyn says they fooled Carly Corinthos, and Carly says, Olivia told her that the pool (🍷) was reserved for a Sweet 16 birthday party. Bobbie says they didn’t want her to know what they were up to, and they wanted to tell her they love her. Josslyn adds, and how happy they are she’s marrying Jason, and Carly says, so there’s no imaginary Sweet 16 party she has to take care of? Josslyn says, all she needs to do is relax and enjoy herself, and Carly says, with her favorite people there, how could she not? Carly says, it’s so lovely, and Josslyn says, and exciting. It’s the day before her wedding day. Carly says she’s starting to feel like a real bride, and Bobbie asks why she’d say that. Of course (🍷) she’s a real bride.

Sonny tells Phyllis that Nina said she doesn’t want to get closer to him until he finds out who he is. She said when he finds out who he is, he’s not going to want to see her anymore. (That’s not exactly what she said, but okay.) What does he do with that? She says, his feelings for Nina are real. That has to count for something. Nina comes in, and asks Phyllis how she is. Then she says, that’s a really dumb question. Forget she said that. Phyllis says, she’ll always be grieving for Lenny, but she knows he wouldn’t want her life to stop. He’d want her to live it to the fullest; to find joy where she can. And since he’s not there to ask Nina, she’ll ask for him. Why can’t the two of them simply live in the moment?

Jax asks Ava to please tell him everything she knows about Nina’s new boyfriend in Nixon Falls, and she says, jealousy doesn’t become him. And she’s certainly not going to confide in the man who conspired to keep from Nina the death of her daughter; a daughter she didn’t even know she had, and is now dead. He says she can’t even imagine how sorry he is for his actions, but believe it or not, he’s trying to help Nina now. She tells him, just go. They’re done here. He flashes back to Josslyn telling him that the sauce is exactly like Sonny’s, and Trina picked it up in a bar in Nixon Falls. He says he’s not leaving until Ava gives him some answers.

Dante asks how many times he has to tell Olivia, his personal life is just that – personal. She says he is seeing Sam, and she thinks that’s great. He says he’s glad she thinks it’s great. They’re meeting there to investigate something. She says, right, and he says, stop. She says she’ll leave him to it. She has to make sure everything is right for Carly’s party, especially the entertainment. It’s going to be such a surprise. She leaves, and Brando comes out of the elevator, carrying a duffel bag. He asks Dante how it’s going, and Dante says, no complaints. He congratulates Brando on becoming a father, and Brando asks if he’s got any tips. Dante says, don’t mess it up. Brando laughs, and Dante says just do the best he can; trust his instincts. Brando says he met Rocco a few times while Sonny was still with them. He seems like a great kid. Dante says, he is a great kid. He’s excited to have a cousin on the way. Sonny would have loved to be there to see Brando become a father. Sasha approaches them, and asks what Brando is doing there. Dante says he’ll see them, and jets. Brando says he’s there on a job, and she says, one of those side gigs he mentioned? He says, one of them, and she asks if he’s going to tell her which one. He says he’s making sure the baby has whatever he or she needs, and then some once it’s born. She says just promise her whatever he’s doing is not mob related, and he says, trust him. He thought she was supposed to be at Carly’s bachelorette party, and she says she was taking a break to powder her nose, which is probably a poor choice of words for her. He says, Carly’s party is there? and she says, out by the pool (🍷). Call her later after his mysterious side gig. She leaves, and Dante comes back. Brando tells Dante that he has a problem.

Sam says she found out some information on Drew’s plane crash that she thinks Curtis will find interesting, and he says, information is only as good as the source. She says she and Dante were able to get ahold of the WSB files on Drew’s plane crash, and it was a charter flight, not a private rental. And there was another passenger on board, but the name wasn’t listed. It was paid for by a company called Leethy Unlimited. He wonders why the name sounds familiar, and she says, because it was the parent company for a clinic in Scarsdale called Creighton-Clark. He says he knows that name from somewhere, and she says, it burned down before he came to Port Charles, but Drew was held captive there, and Nina was a patient, along with a lot of other people. He says he knows where he heard the name from; when he was searching for Nina’s daughter. She asks if he knows anybody who worked there, and he says he just might.

Spinelli says he’s so glad to be out socializing. It’s a welcome break from heartache. Ellie is adamant that their parting be permanent. He asks Michael to please tell him that he’s luckier in the romance department, and Michael says he hates to break it to Spinelli, but he is luckier. He and Willow are together, and they couldn’t be happier. Spinelli says he’ll drink to that.

Olivia tells Willow, talk to her. There’s obviously a huge change in her relationship with Michael. Brook implied that there were some developments, but she wouldn’t go into any details, so she came to the source. What’s going on? Willow says it’s very complicated, and she definitely could have handled things better. She suggests they talk in the next day or two; after Carly’s party. Olivia says, just so she’s clear, Willow and Michael are a couple? Willow says they are, and Olivia says, Chase is a great guy, but between the two of them, she always thought Willow and Michael belonged together. Willow says, they agree. It just took them a while to figure it out. Olivia says Willow looks happy, and she’s happy for her, and they hug.

Carly tells Bobbie that she can’t wait to marry Jason. It’s just been a whirlwind trying to get everything ready. Bobbie asks if that’s all it is, and Josslyn says her mom’s been really busy. Yes, Maxie’s planning the wedding, but there’s still a million details to sort out and decisions to make. She’s helping Josslyn get set up at PCU, there’s dissention with her dad… Bobbie asks if Carly and Jax are at odds, and Carly says, really? They’re supposed to be having fun. Why did Josslyn bring that up? Josslyn says, sorry. She should have kept her mouth shut. Her mom and dad fight all the time, and they always work it out.

Jax tells Ava that he still cares about Nina. Knowing he hurt her is bad enough. He doesn’t want to see her get hurt again. Ava asks what he wants to know, and he asks, when was the last time she spoke to Nina? She says she doesn’t hear from Nina all that often. Just a text here and there, about how happy she is. He says, with her new boyfriend? and she says, Nina doesn’t really say very much. Last time she and Nina had a heart-to-heart, Nina was pretty evasive about him.

Phyllis says, right before Lenny’s diagnosis, he’d decided to live in the moment. He was going to take her dancing. She was on her way to buy a new dress when Dr. Ford showed up, and their lives changed. Sonny says he’s going to do everything he can to honor Lenny’s memory. Phyllis says she knows he will, and she hopes Nina tries to do that too. She leaves, and Sonny asks where Nina was. He was trying to reach her. She says she’s sorry she ran out on him, and he says they’re supposed to be living in the present. She says, he is, but she’s still struggling. When she saw his watch last night, a piece of his past, it made her stop and think for once. He asks if she came to any conclusions. Does he have to find out who he is in order for her to move forward with him?

Carly, who is now wearing a tiara, tells Olivia that she’s sneaky, and Olivia tells her, what can she say? She was motivated. What’s the point of renovating the pool (🍷) if they’re not going to use it? She wanted to wish Carly happiness; no one deserves it more than her. Carly says, that’s sweet, but Olivia says she’s not sweet. Neither is Carly. They tell it like it is. It was the first thing she liked about Carly. Carly says, since they’re telling it like it is, she thought Olivia would think it’s too soon after Sonny. Olivia says, if it were anybody else, she would think they were acting out of grief, or afraid to be alone. She would have been wrestling with herself; should she say something or keep her big mouth shut? But Carly has known Jason forever, and knows what she’s getting. She’s getting a Quartermaine for an in-law – Olivia hands her a drink – so good luck with that. Carly says they’re Olivia’s in-laws too. They’ll be allies. They clink glasses, and Olivia says, always.

Willow asks if Sasha is okay, and Sasha says she ran into Brando in the restaurant. He’s on the job, but woudn’t tell her what it is. Willow asks if she thinks he’s with the mob again, when Carly interrupts, saying, he’s not. Brando made it very clear that he is done. Sasha says, there was a part of Brando that liked the excitement working undercover for Sonny. What if he’s revisiting that part of his life? Getting in deep again, under the guise of wanting to support her and the baby.

Dante says, Brando is kidding, and Brando says he wishes he were. Dante laughs, and Brando asks if he has any advice. Dante says he’s got to bite the bullet. Do what he was hired to do. Make that money. Pay for that baby. Brando asks if Dante can just arrest him, and Dante says, not unless he breaks the law.

Curtis tells Nika that he has some business to take care of, and asks if she’ll be okay by herself. She says, it’s all good, and he leaves. At their table, Michael says he knows Jason and his mom never expected to get to this place, but now that they’re here, he knows they’ll be good for each other. Spinelli says, perhaps it’s fate, destiny, and if it is, how wonderful that it’s Carly. Michael says, incoming, and Joey Novak walks in with several other guys. He says, here it is. Here’s the groom, and a bachelor party that’s crying out for some action.

Sasha says she told Brando that if he wanted to be in her life, and the baby’s, he couldn’t work for Carly and Jason anymore, and Carly says, he’s not. Sasha says she heard Carly and Brando at his garage the other night. He was promising to let her business associates know that he was open for business, and Carly thanked him for helping her. Carly says, Brando offered to listen, that’s all. He’s not going to put himself in danger. Sasha says, what if the danger shows up anyway? What if Brando just can’t say no? Carly says Brando is crazy about Sasha and the baby. She has to trust him. How can they have a family if she doesn’t? Olivia announces, the entertainment is here, and says, Owen, cut the lights. The lights dim, music plays, and Brando comes out in a tux, and dances around. Everyone is shocked, and he makes lovey-dovey shark eyes at Sasha.

Sam tells Dante, she let Curtis in on the information they got about Drew’s plane crash. She figured he’d want to know since he and Drew were such good friends. She mentioned Creighton-Clark to him, and he said it seemed familiar. Then he remembered he knew someone who worked there who might be able to give them more information about the clinic. He says, that’s great, and she says he hasn’t been listening to a word she said. He says he heard everything, but she says, no, he hasn’t. He apologizes, and says he was distracted. She says, about what? and he says, about what’s going on at the MetroCourt pool (🍷) right now, at Carly’s bachelorette party.

What’s going on is, Brando is still dancing, with the girls all egging him on. He comes closer, takes off his tie, and pulls Olivia out on the dancefloor. She dances around for a hot minute, and he goes back to his solo act, taking off his jacket. He comes back to the group, and Carly tries to cover Josslyn’s eyes, but Josslyn is like, no way. Brando rips his shirt off, and Josslyn says, nice abs. He’s actually a pretty good dancer. He dances with Olivia for a second, and goes to Sasha, dancing with her, all romantic. Brando rips off his pants, and he’s in tighty blackies. Everyone comes out to dance, except Sasha, and Brando motions for her to come.

Nika tells Joey and his pals, it’s a private party. They’ll have to come back another night. Joey says, oh come on. There’s plenty of room for them. They promise not to disturb the private party. Jason gets up, and tells Nika, he’ll take care of this. Joey says, like Jason took care of him? Strongarming his uncle into getting him out of the country. He walks to the bar, and says, a round of top-shelf whiskey for the room. He wants to toast the groom, since he won’t be at his wedding tomorrow. He’ll be in Siberia. One of his cronies says, isn’t he going to Poland? Joey says, to the groom, and to his gorgeous bride Carly, who is as hot as they come. Michael gets up, and says, that’s enough, and Joey says, Spinelli agrees with him, right? Carly Corinthos is quite the babe. I’m literally lol’ing, because these guys always sound like they’re from the 1940s. Spinelli (who also sounds like that) says, stop this vulgarity at once, and Jason puts his hand on Spinelli’s shoulder. He says, they were just on their way out, and Spinelli says, they were? Jason puts some money on the bar, and says, Joey and his friends are going to drink on him. He tells Michael and Spinelli, let’s go, and they head for the door. Joey says, hey Morgan. How does it feel to be hitting your dead boss’s wife? Is it good? Like you won a stuffed toy at the fair? Spinelli comes flying at Joey, says, you creep, and punches him.

At the pool (🍷), Brando comes back out, fully dressed, and the women all applaud. Brando says, honestly, he had no idea he was reporting to Carly. His boss just told him it was a party at the MetroCourt pool (🍷). Olivia says she’s the one who called the agency to hire the stripper. She had no idea it was him. Willow asks how badly he wanted to die when he saw all of them, and he says he was hoping the ground would swallow him up. Bobbie says, they’re glad it didn’t because he was really good. Sasha says she’s sure he needs a drink, and Josslyn hands him one, saying he deserves it. Sasha takes his hand and leads him away. Carly remembers when she and Jason almost kissed. Bobbie says, hey, is she okay? and Carly says, why wouldn’t she be? Who knew Brando was so gifted, right? Bobbie says she’s not urging any scandalous behavior where Carly’s daughter is present, but she thought Carly might relax, cut loose a little, considering she is marrying her best friend. Carly says, that’s true; she is. Bobbie asks, so what’s the problem?

Nina says, Mike/Sonny will never know how much she wants him in her life, but it doesn’t seem right that he can’t remember who he was before. He has flashes of that other woman, and he knows she means something to him. He says he doesn’t even know if that woman is real, and she says, he won’t know until he finds out who he really is. He says, he’s Mike. He’s the guy who cares about her. He gets that she doesn’t want his past life to come crashing down on her. She doesn’t want to be hurt again. That’s why she came to Nixon Falls, to let go of her past. She says, so he understands, and he says, yeah, and he’s going to do everything he can to prove to her that he does. He doesn’t know how he’s going to do it, but he will. Because he’s in love with her.

Ava tells Jax, Nina probably wants to keep the new part of her life separate from the old one. Does it really surprise him that Nina would want to make a fresh start with Mike? He says, Mike? Does he have a last name? She says she’s sure he does, but she doesn’t know what it is. He says, and she didn’t ask? Ava says, Nina has made an art of skillfully avoiding her questions about him. Now here’s Jax, interrogating her about a man neither of them has ever met. Does he want to tell her what this is really about?

Curtis calls Phyllis, saying, he’s not sure if she remembers him. She says, of course (🍷) she does. He’s the private investigator who tracked her down, and put her back in touch with Nina Reeves. How can she help him? He says, he’s not a private investigator anymore, but he’s looking into something for a friend. It involves the facility where she worked, when she was Nina’s nurse. She says, Creighton-Clark? and he says, that’s the one. Is she still in touch with anybody she worked with there? She says she wasn’t there long. Besides, she was a private nurse so she didn’t really know any of the staff. He says, maybe she can think on it and give him a call, and she says, wait. There is someone. He friended her on social media a while back.

Sam says, Olivia hired a stripper from an agency that happens to be Brando? That’s priceless. Dante says, he’s making some money for his baby, and she says she’s not laughing at him. She thinks he should be proud. She thinks there’s something really charming about a guy who will do whatever it takes to provide for his child. Dante would, woudn’t he? He says he’s thankful he has a job where he can keep his clothes on, she says, that is too bad. His phone dings, and he says, dammit. He has to go. Work. He hopes to see her again soon. She says he can count on it, and he leaves.

Jax tells Ava, he’s worried about Nina. That’s all. He knows Ava tried to steer her in the right direction when it came to Carly. Ava says she did try, but apparently Nina didn’t take her advice when it came to making nice with Carly. Apparently, she did the opposite. Jax asks what she means, and she says, something happened a long time ago. She was mad, and she told Carly that as a grandparent in the state of New York, Nina has the right to sue for visitation with Wiley. Shortly after that, Nina called Carly, and Carly was all fired up and went for the jugular. He says, that’s what Nina told her? and she says, words to that effect. Everyone knows that Nina was wrong to tell Wiley about Nelle. Nina knows it. She regrets what she did, but Carly is Carly. She rarely gives anybody a second chance. He says, believe him, he knows.

Sonny says he guesses he threw Nina a curveball. He’s sorry. It’s how he feels. He really couldn’t go another minute without telling her. She tells him, she doesn’t know what to say, and he tells her, she doesn’t have to say anything.

Brando asks if Sasha sees now why he was being mysterious about his new job. He didn’t think she’d be a fan of him dancing. It’s just one of his side gigs. She asks, what are the others? Centerfold modeling? Escort service? He says, ha-ha. Try cleaning the deep fryer at Kelly’s, and after-hours custodial work at a bunch of offices downtown. He’s sorry if he embarrassed her tonight. She says she bets the money is good, and he says, it’s real good, but if she doesn’t like it, he’ll quit right now. What they have is a helluva lot more important than this performance tonight.

Willow says she hates herself for enjoying Brando’s performance so much, and Josslyn says, you and me both. Olivia says, in her day, it was empowering for women to go to a strip joint. The women could enjoy strip teases as much as the men. Willow says she can only imagine the men back then. The hair… Olivia says, the fake tan, the screaming women… Josslyn says it sounds like Olivia did a lot of clubbing, but Olivia says, bite her tongue. She was a good, Catholic girl. The only thing she knew about strip joints, and what went on inside of them, was what she read. They all laugh.

Bobbie says, when she thinks back on Carly and Jason when Michael was a baby, it was just the two of them. She used to get so frustrated with Carly at times, she wanted to tear her hair out. Jason was always good for her; he always believed the best in her. And to be fair, no matter how much the rest of them doubted her, she justified that faith. Now after all these years, they’re getting married. Tomorrow they’re going to slip into their new life as husband and wife. That’s the sweetest kind of love there is. Carly thanks her, and they hug.

Brando says he’ll call his boss right now, and tell him it’s his last gig as a stripper, but Sasha says, don’t you dare. Compared to working for Cyrus Renault, this is the safest job in the world. He says so she’s okay with women stuffing bills in his costume? She says, they can stuff as many bills as they want, as long as he always comes home to her.

Curtis asks who Phyllis’s friend was, and what he did at the clinic. She says, he worked in the records department. Would he be able to help Curtis? Curtis says, he just might. Text him the contact information, and tell him to expect Curtis’s call. She says, of course (🍷), and he says, if her friend can help, this could be a very big deal.

Michael gives Spinelli some ice in a cloth, and says, he did most of the heavy lifting… or should he say, heavy punching? Jason says, party’s over, let’s go, and heads for the door a second time. Nika is coming in, and he says, if what he left on the bar isn’t enough to cover everything, let him know. He’s sorry this happened on her watch. She says, she’s sorry, but once the fight started, she had to follow the rules. Spinelli says, what rules? and Dante walks in with some officers. A disheveled Joey gets up, and says he was raising a toast to Jason, and this little dweeb went off on him. Michael says Joey deliberately baited Spinelli, and Spinelli says he denigrated the bride-to-be. Joey says he did nothing of the kind. He was complimenting… Dante tells them, shut up, or he’ll take them all down to the station. Spinelli says, actually, they have a wedding to attend, and Dante says, maybe they’ll think more clearly in the morning.

Carly tells Bobbie, there was a time when all she wanted to do was marry Jason. She lied, she schemed, she left a trail of wreckage. Now years after she let that fantasy go, it’s happening. Bobbie says she and Jason have something magical, and Jason would do anything for her. Carly says, and she doesn’t know why that is; she never has (that makes two of us). She just knows that Jason has always been there for her. Even when he thinks she’s wrong, he’s there. Bobbie says he loves her as she deserves to be loved, and Carly says she’s a lucky woman. She’s a lucky bride.

Sonny takes Nina’s hand and says she doesn’t have to pretend she has feelings for him if she doesn’t have them. Maybe she will one day, maybe she won’t, but it feels good for him to tell her how he feels. So he’s going to leave her with that, okay? She says, okay, and he goes in the back.

Ava tells Jax, Carly and Nina must have been able to smooth things over, since Nina is seeing Wiley again, but she gets the sense it’s a fragile peace. Which is another argument for Nina to stay in Nixon Falls. She’s much less likely to cross paths with Carly there. He says, it certainly seems that way, and thanks Ava for taking the time to talk to him. He appreciates it. He starts to leave, and she asks what he’s going to do. He says, what can he do? Except make sure Nina is happy and safe.

Outside on the phone, Jax tells someone, get the jet ready. He’s going to Nixon Falls, Pennsylvania. Where I’m sure they have an airport.

On Tuesday (there’s a rerun on Labor Day – see below), Shawn tells Jordan that there has to be something to lead them to Hayden’s shooter, Nina asks Sonny what happened, and Ava is surprised.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Chase does squats, and let’s just say it. For someone who’s been bedridden for so long, he’s in amazing shape. I’ve never seen him do one crunch, yet he’s got abs for days. He remembers telling Willow that he’s grateful for having had her in his life, and her asking, how many people can say they loved as deeply as they did? He flashes back to her taking off her ring and giving it to him. He picks up the ring, and there’s a knock at the door. Finn comes in, surprised to see Chase is walking. Chase says, look, ma, no hands. Finn says, it’s incredible. Just one question. Why didn’t Chase tell him?

Willow sees Michael is working from home, and he says, the luxury of being his own boss. He asks where Wiley is, and she says, at the pool (🍷) with the nanny. He says, it’s a good day for it, and she agrees. He tells her that he missed her last night, and she says she missed him too. She hopes he understands… He says, that after returning Chase’s ring, she needed a minute? Of course (🍷) he understands. She says she did need a minute, but what she really needs is him. He says she’s got him for as long as she wants him, and she says, that could be a long time. He says he’s counting on it.

Brook comes in with Bailey, and says she’s getting heavy. She needs to lay off the formula. Just kidding. She tells Bailey to get as big and strong as she can. Show the world what she’s got, but first, it’s nap time. Where’s her favorite binky? Don’t tell her they lost it.

At the MetroCourt, Maxie puts Bailey/Louise’s binky in her pocket. She sees Carly, and says, just the person she’s been looking for. She was batting ideas around for Carley’s wedding. How does she feel about motorcycle ice sculptures?

In the home of the moss bowl 🎍, Jason asks Josslyn if everything is okay. She says, yes… no. Does he have a second to talk? If he doesn’t, it’s no big deal. He says he’s good, and sits down. He asks, what’s going on? and she says she had dinner with her mom and dad last night. She’s sure Carly told him, and he says, she mentioned it. How’d it go? She says, it was terrible.

Britt is staring at her tablet at the MetroCourt, when Obrecht sits with her. She asks what has Britt so enthralled, but Britt doesn’t know if that’s the word. More like resigned. She shows Obrecht Jason and Carly’s wedding announcement, and says, they’ve set a date.

Phyllis busses some tables at the Tan-O, and Sonny says he has it covered. She says she was going stir-crazy at the house. All those well-meaning neighbors stopping by, and the clinic insisted she take a week off. Can he believe that? Don’t they know work is the best thing for her now? He says, her neighbors and co-workers care about her, and want to help her like he does. Phyllis says if Sonny wants to help her, then tell Nina how much she means to him. Trust her. Nina could be taken away tomorrow, and all he’ll be left with is regret.

Outside, Peter thanks Nina for letting him crash at her place last night. She says, as if she had a choice; he threatened her nephew. He says he would never hurt James, and she says, no. He’d just take James away from his mother. He says, like Louise was taken from him. An eye for an eye, as they say. Or in this case, a child for a child.

Chase says he didn’t tell anyone about his progress, especially Willow. Finn says, he wanted to surprise her? and Chase says, that was the idea, but he found something out, and decided to keep it from her on purpose. They sit down, and Finn asks, what’s happening right now? Chase says, Michael and Willow are together, and Finn says, together together? Michael, Chase’s best friend, and Willow his wife? Chase says, not anymore, and picks up the ring. Willow wants an annulment. Finn asks, since when? and Chase says, since she’s in love with Michael.

Michael says it’s okay if Willow doesn’t want to talk about it, but she says, it’s fine. Once they were alone, and faced that it was time to put an end to all the lies and all the pretending, the anger and resentment washed away. The pain was still there obviously, and the sadness over what was lost, but she and Chase went back to where they started. Two people who only want the best for each other. He says, sounds like Chase, and she says, doesn’t it? He wonders if they can all be friends again, and she says she thinks so. Not now, while everything is still so fresh, but she hopes eventually. He hopes so too, and she says, it’s strange, isn’t it? Not having to hide anymore. They can just be them; Michael and Willow. He says, or Willow and Michael; ladies first. She says, if he insists, and Brook asks if she’s interrupting.

Carly reminds Maxie that she wanted understated, and Maxie says, remember the wedding of the century? Carly says, no melting motorcycles, and Maxie says her ice sculptures don’t melt, but whatever. Color palette? Carly asks what Maxie is thinking, and Maxie says she was thinking yellow. Not sunflower yellow, but a soft butter yellow, with hints of cream. They could pick it up in the bouquets and boutonnieres. Carly says she knows how much Jason loves a boutonniere, and tells Maxie how much she appreciates it. Maxie says, really? She got the feeling Carly and Jason were humoring her, but Carly says, not at all. For some reason, this has been hard. Not marrying Jason – that’s the easy part – but it just feels really weird, and she doesn’t know why. Maxie says she does.

Josslyn tells Jason, it was just so awkward. Hey, wait. Where the hell is the moss bowl 🎍? There’s a bowl of floating flowers on the kitchen island. Where do I protest this travesty? Josslyn says, they were fighting in this weird passive/aggressive way she’s never seen before. She knows they had a huge custody battle when she was a toddler, and Jason says, but she has no memory of that. She says, zero. The only thing she’s ever known is them being the poster couple for divorced parents. Even during the times her dad was furious at Sonny – and she means steam coming out of his ears furious – her mom and dad still shared a mutual respect for one another. Jason takes it last night wasn’t like that, and she says, they literally couldn’t hide their resentment. The only reason she could think of was because her mom’s marrying him.

Obrecht says she’s so sorry, and Britt asks, why? Obrecht says, because she got her heart broken. Britt says her heart is still intact, and Obrecht says, and not by a man she can easily write off. She can tell Britt had real feelings for Jason, and she lost him, and that hurts. She wants to help Britt somehow. Britt says she’s hurt, and angry, and doing stupid things like making speeches about toothbrushes that she won’t bother Obrecht with the details of. But does she wish none of it happened? It’s a shame it didn’t last, but that doesn’t make any of it less meaningful.

Nina and Peter go into the Tan-O, and Sonny introduces Phyllis to Peter. She says, he’s the author, and Peter says, Peter Sinclair; it’s a pleasure to meet her. They shake hands, and Peter says he’s so sorry to hear about her husband. Nina told him about Lenny last night. Sonny says, he was with Nina last night? and Peter says he spent the night at her place. Nina says she has the room, so the least she could do was offer up her couch. Peter says, it’s very fortunate that he ran into someone that he not only knew, but was sympatico with. Phyllis says, sympatico? and Sonny says, Peter and Nina both lost children. Peter says he thinks he can speak for Nina when he says neither of them wants to experience anything like that ever again.

Finn tells Chase, he feels like an idiot. He had no idea; he was so focused on other things. Chase says, like saving his little brother’s life? and Finn says, amongst other things. Willow seemed so loving and supportive. Chase says, she’s still both those things. She’s just not in love with him anymore. Finn asks why she didn’t just tell Chase, and Chase says, when would have been a good time? When he collapsed and was on the brink of death, or when he could barely walk, then couldn’t walk? It was just one thing after another. Finn says, okay. What’s Michael’s excuse? It’s a pretty crappy thing to do to a buddy. Chase says he was pissed off, but once he thought about it, Michael and Willow were married. They’re co-parents to Wiley; something Chase put in motion, by the way. They fell in love. They wanted to tell him, but there was never a good time for it. It was downright awful. Not because of Michael and Willow, but… Finn says, because of Peter. Chase says he wishes it was some trashy affair. Willow lying and running around behind his back, but it wasn’t like that. And that’s the part that hurts the most.

Willow says she can take Bailey to the nursery if Brook and Michael want some privacy, but Brook says, Bailey had better get used to the drama in this family. She asks how Chase is, and Willow says, hurt, sad; they both are. But they actually ended up in… Good is the wrong word. The better place. Brook says, how very Chase of him, and Willow says she knows Brook and Chase are close. She just wants to say for the record that this was a colossal mess, and it was all her fault. Michael says it wasn’t even close to being all her fault, but Willow says she should have told Chase the truth a lot sooner than she did. She hates that she didn’t have the courage to. Brook says, she was just having a conversation about this. Don’t worry; no details were exchanged. Sometimes in life, you’re faced with a crazy situation, and no matter what your intentions are, you’re forced to live with it. Should Willow have told Chase the truth? Maybe, but when? When Chase was dying, or when he thought he was never going to walk again? Willow messed up, but it’s clear it was out of care and kindness, not selfishness. Willow says, that’s very generous, and Brook says, it’s Chase they’re talking about. He will find the grace to see it for what it is. Maybe not today, but he will. Willow says she’s hopeful for that too. Brook says, if they could all be so lucky, and Michael asks what she means. She says, Chase could have been more volatile, someone you don’t know how they’re going to react if you cross them. He asks if she means like every single member of their family, and she says that’s exactly what she was thinking about.

Maxie tells Carly, it’s one thing to know you’re getting married, and be happy about it even, but it’s a completely different thing to contemplate spending the rest of your life with someone you didn’t know you were going to spend the rest of your life with. Carly says Maxie is right. She needs to change her perspective. This is an adjustment, but she’s still marrying Jason, and it’s still going to be wonderful, and it will reflect that. It just needs to be significant. Maxie says, but understated, and Carly says, that’s where Maxie comes in. Maxie asks if she’s thought about her vows. Does she want to go traditional or write them herself? Does she want Maxie to write Jason’s? Carly suggests they stick with traditional. If she gets up there and says what Jason means to her, they’ll be there all afternoon. Maxie says, traditional it is, but it’s going to be a wedding to remember. Carly says she has no doubt about that.

Britt tells Obrecht, typical, right? She finally finds the perfect guy, and it turns out he’s bonded for life with someone else. Obrecht says, someone woefully inferior, and Britt says, maybe. Obrecht says, definitely, and Britt says, Carly is a lucky woman. She thanks Obrecht for her support, saying, it means a lot. But while she’s pissed off and hurt, and all of the other things, she’s not sorry, and that feels really good. When her other relationships ended, she was left with this feeling of regret, of second-guessing what she did, and wishing she’d been different, better. But not this one. And that is something to celebrate. Obrecht tells her, if she says so, and Britt says she does. Come on. Lift her glass. Obrecht does, and Britt says, there you go. Cheers. Obrecht reluctantly clinks glasses with her.

Josslyn doesn’t understand why Jax has a problem with it. Yes, Jason is in the business, but he’s a good person, and Jax knows that, so she doesn’t understand why he’s acting this way. Unless he’s flat out jealous. He’s still in love with her mom, and can’t admit it. Jason tells her to listen to him for second, but she says, let her get this out. She loves her dad with all her heart, but he’s just wrong about this. She’s so happy Jason is marrying her mom. Josslyn doesn’t think there’s another person on earth who’s better for her, or better to her. She didn’t always understand that. At first, she was too young, then he was gone all those years, but when he came back, and she saw how happy he made her mom and how her mom trusts him, she hopes that makes up for everything else. She just feels bad that, for the first time – that she’s witnessed anyway – her dad is being a jerk.

Phyllis says she’s so sorry for Peter’s loss. She wishes she didn’t know that pain, but she does. He says she’s lost a child as well? and she says, her daughter. He says they always wish they could turn back the clock, don’t they? and Nina says, but unfortunately, they can’t. He says, but fortunately, they can take solace in other people who understand their pain. Sonny asks how long Peter is staying, and Peter says, that depends. Thanks to Nina and her hospitality, he was just passing through, but thinks he might stick around for a while. In fact, they’ve been discussing a project of mutual interest. Sonny asks, what kind of project?

Chase tells Finn, Willow wouldn’t have an affair. She’s not a cheater. Finn says he wouldn’t peg her as one either, and Chase says, so if she’s with Michael, that means she loves him. Having been loved by Willow before, he knows how lucky that makes Michael. He can’t even say Michael is undeserving; he’s a good guy. He knows Michael didn’t set out to hurt him, but it happened that way. Finn says, wow. Chase is being way more forgiving about this than he thinks he’d be. Chase asks what choice he has, and Finn says, being angry as all hell. Chase says, he was angry, but now he’s just sad. Sad for what was. What he and Willow had was gone, and he misses it, but in the end all he wants is for Willow to be happy, and she is. Finn asks what Chase meant about setting this in motion, and Chase says, when he and Sasha lied. Finn asks if Chase could go back and do things different, would he?

Brook says, speaking of family, can they discuss how Michael gave Austin the keys to the kingdom? Michael asks what he was supposed to do, and she says, destroy the evidence, shred it, basically anything except what he did. He says, she does realize there’s another copy of that memo out there. Doing something shady would only come back to bite them. She says he gave Austin a leg to stand on, and Michael says he did, but it doesn’t prove his case. All it proves was that grandfather had a conversation with his lawyer. It doesn’t say anything about a will being drafted. It doesn’t say anything about something being signed. People have wills drawn up all the time, but without a signature, it means nothing. She asks if he thinks the judge will rule in that direction, but he doesn’t know. He does think it’s better to be transparent; it makes damage control that much easier. Willow watches this conversation like she’s at a tennis match, and Michael says he knows Brook cares because she wants her father to be head of ELQ, and he gets that. That’s why when she did all that stuff with Bailey and the shares, he stepped aside, and he thinks it worked. He thinks they can retain control of ELQ. I’m confused as to why this is even an issue, since it’s not like Edward would have left Jimmy Lee with 51%. He says, what would be the worst thing? and Brook says she can’t tell if he’s joking or not. He says he hates to admit it, but Valentin is a good CEO. They’re all making money, ELQ is in the black, and whether or not she likes it, Valentin is part of this family now because of Bailey. So if Austin gets those stocks, and votes Valentin in, would it really be the end of the world? (Another good point.) It’s certainly not worth the backlash of doing something unethical. He knows she doesn’t see things this way because of her father, and Brook says Michael is giving him way too much credit.

Maxie joins Obrecht and Britt, and Britt asks when she got back. Maxie says, yesterday, and she’s been non-stop busy ever since. Obrecht asks if her time in Texas was healing, and Maxie says she’s never going to heal completely until Louise is home, and Peter is behind bars, but yes. Being with the family helped. So did seeing Nina. Obrecht says, she saw Nina? and Maxie says she stopped by Nixon Falls. She was hoping to spend more time with Nina, but Nina convinced her to come home. Britt tells her, welcome home, and asks what’s kept her so busy. Deception stuff? Maxie says, that, and she’s up to her eyeballs planning Jason and Carly’s wedding. Obrecht says, it sounded like she said Jason and Carly’s wedding, and Maxie says, because she did. Obrecht asks if she’s lost her mind.

Jason says Josslyn’s dad loves her, and he’s concerned about her. He’s not going to lie; he has every reason to be. The life he and her mother lead isn’t a normal life. She says, that’s one way to put it, and he says, Jax is allowed to have a problem with that. That being said, he thinks marrying her mom is the right thing. Nothing her dad does is going to change his mind or her mom’s. She says, God no. Not that her mom has any doubts, but because her dad is acting this way, it would only make her more determined. He laughs, and says, that sounds like Carly.

Peter says, Mike doesn’t know the unwritten rule between author and editor. They never kiss and tell. Sonny says, and they don’t keep secrets. Peter says, is that so? and Officer Finchley comes in. He says he wanted to offer his condolences to Phyllis, and she says, it’s kind of him. He remembers Mike and Nina, right? He says, how could he forget? and she introduces Peter. He says he knows Peter.

Chase tells Finn, if he could do it over again, the selfish part of him would say yeah, because he loves Willow and wants to spend the rest of his life with her. But the way it turned out, the most important thing happened. Michael and Willow got Wiley. Finn says Chase made quite a sacrifice, but Chase says he doesn’t know about that. Finn says, if Nelle had gotten custody, it could have gone a lot of different ways, none of them good. Chase says, in the end, he guesses he would do it all over again, and Finn says he’s a good man. Chase says, please, and Finn says he’s not good at accepting compliments (pot meet kettle), but he’s a good man. Chase says, it runs in the family, and Finn asks, what now? Chase puts the ring on the table, and says, now he gets on with the rest of his life. He’s on the mend, and getting stronger every day. He wants to get back to work. He likes being a detective, and being a favorite uncle. Finn says he’s the only uncle, and Chase says, semantics. Finn says, that gives him an idea.

Brook says, Michael assumes she only wants to protect her father, and she does, but she also doesn’t like Austin. Zero. Zip. Zilch. Like at all. Michael suggests she tell them how she really feels, and she says, he showed up there like he was this nice guy who’s helping Maxie. Then, boom. Just kidding. He’s actually Jimmy Lee Holt’s son, and wants all of their money. Michael says he doesn’t want all of their money, and she says, sorry. He just wants his fair share. Grandfather exiled Jimmy Lee Holt for good reason, and she hasn’t seen Austin do one good thing that entitles him to be part of this family. The best thing would be to send him packing. Michael remembers Willow is there, and asks if she can help him out, but she says, actually, she’s with Brook on this one. Honestly, another thing I don’t get. They weren’t exactly welcoming, and I get that Brook is paranoid he’s going to remember her, but what the hell with Willow?

Maxie asks if there’s a problem, and Obrecht says, yah, while Britt says, no. Obrecht says, a big problem. Does Maxie not know Jason broke her Britta’s heart? Treated her like something he scraped off the bottom of his shoe. Britt asks if she and Obrecht did not just have the conversation they had, but Obrecht says, it’s principle. Her love and devotion to Britt as her daughter is one thing, but her disdain for that schwein and his hussy is something else. Maxie says, whoa, and Britt says, a little extra, right? Obrecht says Maxie shouldn’t be doing favors for those despicable people, and Maxie says, first of all, she’s sorry about Britt and Jason. Britt says, don’t be, and Maxie says, but she thinks, in their own way, Jason and Carly love each other. Obrecht says, please. If Carly truly loved him, she’d realize he was better off with Britt, and let him go. But Carly wants what she wants when she wants it. Who cares about the rest of the world? Britt says, you know who that sounds like? and Obrecht says, who? Britt says, us.

Jason tells Josslyn that he has to take off, but before he goes, he wants to say this. What’s going on between her mom, her dad, and him, is between the three of them. Her carrying that or taking on that weight is probably one thing they can all agree they don’t want. She says she knows, but it’s hard to separate. He says he gets it, but just be aware. The best thing she can do is be there for them, love and support them, and they’ll do the exact same thing for her, all in their own ways. She’s going to college. He can’t even believe it, but she needs to live her life, and take advantage of this opportunity. She says she knows, and she’s so excited… He says, but… and she says, but it’s kind of weird, because it’s the first thing she’s going to do that her mom can’t give her advice on. Her mom never went to college. She’s imagining what she thinks it will be like, instead of having gone through it herself. She guesses she never realized how much she relies on her mom’s experience. He says he gets it, and she’s right; her mom’s never been to college. She’s stepped out into a new overwhelming world, and made her place in it. She may not have college experience, but she’s faced a lot of challenges, and knows how to overcome them. And she’s behind Josslyn 100%; so is he. Josslyn tells him, she’s said it before, but it can’t hurt to say it again. She’s happy they’re getting married. He says, him too, and they hug. Note to self: A job as mob boss lady does not require a degree.

Peter says he doesn’t believe he’s had the pleasure, and Phyllis tells Finchley, Peter is new in town. Nina says, he’s just passing through. Always on the run, isn’t he? Peter asks if she’s trying to get rid of him already, and she says she just knows how much he’s wanted back home. Peter says, and home is…  She tells Finchley , they knew each other in Port Charles, and Peter says, Port Charles, Manhattan, Los Angeles, Chicago; they’ve known each other so many places, haven’t they? He fingers the gun in his waistband, and Phyllis thanks Finchley for stopping by. She knows how busy he is. He says he’s just a phone call away, and Phyllis says she’ll remember that. He leaves, and Sonny says, isn’t it nice, knowing how many people care about her? Phyllis says, nice and exhausting. She asks if Sonny will take her home, and he says, absolutely. He asks if Nina will be there when he gets back, and she says she will. She tells Phyllis to get some rest, and Phyllis says she will. She tells Peter that it was nice meeting him, and he says it was nice meeting her too. They leave, and Peter tells Nina, she just made a fatal mistake.

Chase says, a camping trip? and Finn says, fishing, s’mores, hikes to the waterfall. Chase isn’t sure he’s hiking ready yet, and Finn says he can sit that out. He can help set up the tent. Chase says, Finn told him that Elizabeth and the boys are going, and Finn says Chase worked his tail off to get back in shape. What did he do it for? To show off his abs at the MetroCourt pool (🍷); it’s been done already. Get off his butt, and spend some time with his family. Chase says, he’ll think about it, and Finn says, he’ll take it.

Willow says, Michael is thinking about things from a business perspective, and that’s great, but in the time they’ve been together, she’s come to know his family; to love them and think of them as her own. She, too, gets major sketch vibes from Austin. Brook says, see? and Willow says she just doesn’t know if he has the family’s best interest in mind. She gets why Michael did what he did, and she’s not saying he’s wrong, but she agrees with Brook. Brook says she loves them as a couple, and Michael says, oh my God. Brook says, Willow is a good addition to the family. Willow tells Michael, that’s not to say she doesn’t have huge respect for him as a businessman, because she does… Brook says, no backpedaling. Willow is with her on this one. Jason comes in, and Michael says, perfect timing. He’s being ganged up on. Brook says, it’s Bailey’s nap time, and they have to find Yuri. She leaves with Bailey/Louise, and Michael says, he texted Jason for a couple of reasons. He wanted to give Jason a heads up on their new family member, Austin. Jason says, Monica filled him in, and Michael says, the other thing is – he takes Willow’s hand – he and Willow are together again. Willow says she ended her marriage to Chase, and Jason says, that’s great (which sounds so wrong); he’s happy for them. He’s actually glad Michael texted. There’s something Jason needs to ask him.

Carly comes into the kitchen, and I keenly feel the absence of the moss bowl 🎍. She says she’s been thinking about Josslyn all day. She feels terrible about what happened last night. Josslyn says, it’s okay, but Carly says, it’s not okay. Things got tense with her and Josslyn’s dad, and it was supposed to be about Josslyn, to celebrate her. She feels terrible, and doesn’t want the disagreement she had with Josslyn’s dad to affect Josslyn’s relationship with him. She doesn’t want it to affect Josslyn at all. She just wants her and Jax to handle their own issue, and for Josslyn to be the amazing college kid that she is. Josslyn says she already talked to Jason, and she’s good. Another great thing about Carly marrying him. For somebody who doesn’t speak a whole lot he gives good advice.

Britt says, not one of them can talk to being selfish; they’ve all had their moments. Maxie says, preach! and Obrecht says, humph! Britt asks if Maxie could do something for her, and Maxie says, anything. Britt says, make the wedding beautiful. Maxie says she’s on it, and Britt says, she never planned on having a happily ever after, but she thinks it would be great if Jason got one. Obrecht says, that much generosity, she can barely handle. One ounce more, and Britt’s spine will turn to pudding. Besides, the wedding can be nice, but maybe the band forgets an instrument, or there’s a hair in someone’s… Britt says, mother… and Obrecht says, nothing to ruin the day. Just a minor hiccup. Maxie says she’ll see what she can do, and they laugh.

Peter says, Nina is lucky the officer didn’t recognize who he was… despite all those clues she kept feeding him. She says, maybe he filed those clues away, and he’s checking up on Peter Sinclair as they speak. He says he hopes not, for her sake. One siren in this direction… She says, do not threaten her nephew again, and he says, she built a nice cozy life for herself in Nixon Falls. It would be such a shame if something were to happen to the widow Caulfield, wouldn’t it? Or better yet, her precious Mike. She says he’s bluffing, and he says, maybe, but does she really want to risk it? Sonny comes back, and we can tell he knows something is up.

Finn tells Chase to let him know what he decides, and Chase says he will. Finn asks if he’s going to be okay, and Chase says, yeah. Finn says, then get back to work, and leaves. Chase closes the door, and picks up rings.

Jason tells Michael that he and Carly set a date, and Michael says, congratulations. Willow asks, when’s the big day? and Jason says, September 17th. He was hoping Michael would be his best man. He can’t think of anyone he’d rather have by his side. Michael says Jason didn’t have to ask, but he’d be honored.

Josslyn tells Carly, she loves her dad – Carly says, of course (🍷) she does – but no matter his feelings on the subject, she’s thrilled Carly and Jason are getting married. She needs Carly to know that. Carly says she does, and it’s the perfect segue to their next topic of discussion – dress shopping. Josslyn says, for Carly? and Carly says, and for Josslyn. Her maid of honor needs to make a statement. Josslyn says, heck yeah, and Carly asks if that’s a yes. Josslyn says, no, because there was never any question. Of course (🍷) she’ll be Carly’s maid of honor. They hug and say they love each other so much.

Sonny asks if everything is okay, and Peter says, of course (🍷). He was just pitching an idea to Nina. A true crime story about a woman in a small town, not unlike Nixon Falls. She does everything in her power to save the people she loves. Is Nina interested? Nina says, she’ll consider it, and he says, fair enough. He’s going to take a walk; soak up the atmosphere. It might come in handy if she gives him the green light. Sonny says he’ll come with Peter, but Peter says, it’s not necessary. Sonny says he insists. He used to be a stranger there himself. Peter says, very well, and Sonny shoots Nina a look before they leave.

Britt thanks Obrecht for buying, and Obrecht says she’s paying? Britt says, considering the day she’s had, she thinks it’s appropriate. Obrecht says, now Britt is all torn up, and Britt asks if Maxie has time for a drink. Maxie says she wishes, but she can catch Britt up on everything in the elevator. Obrecht tells Maxie to give James a kiss from his oma, and Maxie says she will. Maxie and Britt leave, and Obrecht sits down to sign the tab. Her phone rings, and she sees it’s Nina. She says Maxie was just talking about her, but Nina says she doesn’t have much time. Is Obrecht alone? Obrecht asks, what’s wrong? and Nina says she has a problem she thinks Obrecht is perfectly qualified to solve. If Obrecht can’t for any reason, Nina will do it herself.

Outside, Sonny says Peter and Nina aren’t just business associates. Is he right? Peter says he’d also like to think of them as friends, but Sonny asks why he gets the feeling Nina doesn’t like Peter.

Tomorrow, Nikolas tells Ava that there’s always a silver lining, Scotty says it’s Austin’s ticket to ride, Jax says Josslyn isn’t coming within a mile of Carly’s wedding, and Sonny tells Peter, it’s probably time to get out of town.

One can hope. I was up way too late last night, watching All About Eve in the wee hours, like I haven’t seen it a thousand times. That one never gets old though. Tomorrow begins another of what I believe we’re calling the weekend again, and I’ll be hear with soap, a real estate finale, tea, and sympathy wise words. Until then, stay safe, stay self-confident, and stay not doing anything shady. It could come back to bite you.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

At the MetroCourt bar, Carly looks at her engagement ring. She remembers taking off her wedding set, and telling Jason she’s not ready, but it has to be done. Then she flashes back to Jason giving her the new ring. Laura arrives, and apologizes for being late. She had some last minute business repairing potholes. Carly says, you can’t talk too much about potholes, but Laura begs to differ, and she didn’t come there to talk about business. She came there to celebrate Carly’s engagement to Jason. Carly says she just saw the bartender set aside a bottle of their best champagne for Laura. That is not necessary. Laura says, it absolutely is. Think about it. All the bad news they had this year. It’s important to celebrate the good times. Gladys joins them, and says she agrees with the mayor, and please let her offer her congratulations. When’s the wedding date so she can put it in her calendar?

Brando and Sasha come in and sit at a table. He says he’s already ordered them drinks – non-alcoholic. She says just because she’s pregnant doesn’t mean he has to abstain, but he says he wants to. He wants to go through everything she’s going through. (Good luck with that.) Sasha says, he’ll share her labor pains too? and he says he would if he could. He asks if that’s too weird and stalkerish, and she says, from anyone else, kind of, but from him, not in the least. He says, good, and just so she knows, he told Carly that he’s not interested in working in her and Jason’s business. She asks how Carly reacted, and he thinks relieved, but mostly happy that they’ve gotten together. Carly likes her a lot. She says she likes Carly a lot. When she was using, Carly really tried to help her. She was kind and supportive… He says, but she still doesn’t want their baby anywhere near the Corinthos business. She says, nor the baby’s father, and he says two of her wishes have come true. What’s her third wish? She says to know where they go from here.

At the pool (🍷), Josslyn hands Trina a sparkling green tea infused with mango, specialty of the house. Trina says, this is good, and Josslyn says, it was her mom’s idea. She wanted the non-alcoholic drinks to be just as good as the ones with booze. Trina leans back in her lounge chair, and says, this is so nice and relaxing. Josslyn says, sometimes, without Spencer around. Trina says, he’s not so bad, and Josslyn says, he can be; proceed with caution. Trina says this sounds like her talking to her mom, and Josslyn says, she told her mother to proceed with caution? Trina says, she almost did. Her mom is seeing someone. Josslyn says, like dating them? and Trina says, it’s the first time her mom has ever been serious enough about a guy, besides her dad, to tell her about it.

Curtis and Portia kiss, and she says she can’t believe this is real; they’re really together. He says, they are, and she says, which is why she hesitated to tell Trina. Does he know what a huge deal that is? She’s never spoken to Trina about any man she was seeing. He asks, why? and she says, no one was ever important enough.

Dante goes to Jordan’s office, and she says she got his report on David Hopkins, the helicopter pilot. He says they got some good info from Anna. He’s been going over the security footage from the hospital, the day the pilot was going to pick up Peter from the roof. She says, any luck? and he says Cyrus had the cameras disabled from the stairwells leading to the rooftop. She says, so no information on Peter’s accomplice? and he tells her, Anna said the pilot’s description was a bit vague. She says she read it in his report, and asks if Anna told him what she’s doing to follow up.

Finn says, ready? and he and Anna open the freezer, but it’s empty, reminding me of Al Capone’s vault. She says, it’s empty, and he says, that’s impossible. He put Peter’s body in there himself. She says he needs to be really honest with her. Who else knows about this?

Elizabeth tells Jason, she and Finn put Peter’s body in the freezer themselves. If Finn moved the body, he would have told her. Maybe it was Anna; maybe she found out. He says, somebody would have seen her. The cameras weren’t disabled until a few minutes before he went to the basement. She says, unless Anna figured out a way around the cameras. She saw them in Finn’s office. The way they looked, she thinks Finn was telling Anna that he killed Peter.

Trina says she honestly doesn’t know why she’s so weirded out by her mom dating. Maybe because it feels like life is changing so fast, and she wants her mom to stay the same. Josslyn says she knows what Trina means. They’ll be going to college soon, and it seems like their moms are taking advantage of their new lives to start new lives of their own. Trina says, Josslyn’s mom is marrying Jason, and Josslyn says, and Trina’s mom is getting serious about dating. Trina says, it’s hard seeing her mom as anything other than a mom and a doctor. Maybe that’s partly why she’s so confused. Josslyn asks, what’s the other part? and Trina says she thinks it’s the man her mom is seeing.

Portia asks Curtis, what’s that look about? and he says he’s just touched that she told Trina about him. He’s also surprised. She says, why? and he says he knows Trina’s happiness is her priority. She pours them some wine, and he says he has to know, what was her reaction? She says, Trina admitted she felt a little weird – her word – talking about it, but in the end, she just wants to see Portia happy. He says, if her reaction had been different, would he be sitting there right now? and she says, probably not. He laughs and says, that’s fair, and she says, she would have done her best to convince Trina to see the man that she sees. He says, they both know how convincing she can be when she wants to be, and she tells him, don’t you ever forget it. He says, when she’s ready, can he convince her and Trina to let him treat them to dinner?

On the phone, Jordan says she’ll let them know. She’ll handle it personally. She tells Dante that it was Monica. Some of the security cameras at GH were down again. He says, the same ones that were just fixed? and she says she’s afraid so. He says, Cyrus is in jail. That means his network is still intact. She says, maybe they want to continue to operate out of the hospital. Let’s go.

Jason says there’s no way Anna made it to the basement before him, and Elizabeth says she was sure Finn was telling Anna everything when she barged into his office. She even gave him an excuse to leave, and he didn’t take it. Jason says he heard her, but he was already on his way to the freezer; they would have crossed paths. She says if somebody else found the body and stole it, why haven’t they contacted Finn?  Or her? He says maybe somebody’s trying to protect her. Peter had a lot of enemies. There are a lot of people who would be glad he’s dead. She says, grateful enough to be their guardian angel? Enough to cover up Finn pushing Peter down the stairs? He says, there’s hundreds of people coming in and out of this hospital every day. It’s possible somebody stepped in. She asks if there’s a way to find out, and he says, there is.

Finn says he told Anna, no one else knows that he put Peter’s body in the freezer, but she says someone could have seen him without him knowing. He says, maybe, but if he was watched, why would someone move Peter’s body? She says, to protect him? and he says, why wouldn’t they tell him? She says, it depends on who this person is. There is, of course (🍷), another explanation. He says, which is? and she asks if he’s absolutely certain Peter is dead.

Brando says, if Sasha was granting him the where do we go from here wish, he’d say he’d like more time with her. She asks if he thinks they should get to know each other better before the baby arrives. He says, it would help with co-parenting, doesn’t she think? Her phone beeps, and he asks if he’s keeping her from something. She says she set a reminder on her phone to go check for apartments. Her studio is so tiny, even she can barely fit into it, let alone a new baby. He says, which reminds him, he needs to baby-proof his apartment, for when she and the baby come over. And maybe someday, the three of them will move in together – no pressure. She says, the three of them as in her, him, and the baby, or her, him, and Gladys?

Carly tells Gladys, they haven’t set a date yet, so invitations aren’t an issue. Gladys says she hopes they won’t be an issue where she’s concerned. Remember Sonny – may he rest – was her dear cousin. Laura says, and her dear friend, and Gladys says, then Laura realizes he’d want people at the wedding who remember him fondly, instead of dancing on his grave. Carly tells Gladys, she will not be on the guest list, and Gladys says, after she risked her life to exonerate the groom? Carly says, after Gladys perjured herself to make sure he was arrested in the first place. Brando runs over, and says he just saw Gladys was there. Would she like to grab a drink? She asks if he can afford it; the prices are so high there, and he chose not to join the lucrative Corinthos Coffee business. Laura says she’s sure he had good reasons, and Carly says, like a successful garage, but Gladys says, not as successful as the family business. Brando says, that’s enough, Sasha’s waiting, and leads her away. Laura says, oh my God, and starts laughing. She says she’s sorry, and Carly says she’s sorry Laura had to hear that. Brando is sweet, and it’s the only reason she doesn’t have Gladys thrown out of her restaurant. Laura asks how she feels about what Gladys said, and Carly says, that she’s dancing on Sonny’s grave? It’s just Gladys. Petty, nasty, and dead wrong.

Josslyn says Trina’s mom is seeing Curtis? and Trina says, on the one hand, she spent months hating Curtis for not doing more to save her dad. Then she realized her dad wasn’t really dead, so she had to take a step back, apologize and reassess. And that was before Curtis saved her and her mom from Cyrus, so it was already completely complicated. Then, on top of everything, Curtis is dating her mom. Josslyn asks if Trina thinks that’s why her mom and Curtis got together, because of what happened with Cyrus? Trina thinks that’s part of it, but she suspects it started before then. For a while, she thought her mom was the reason that Commissioner Ashford and Curtis split up.

Jordan tells security guy Bob, Bill, or whatever his name is, that Monica thought there was an issue with the new security measures she put in place, specifically the cameras installed in the stairwells leading to the roof, and the hallways leading to the basement. He says he thought it was best to let Monica know, so she could bring in the PCPD, in case Cyrus’s people are involved again. Dante asks how they access the hospitals basements, and he says, this way. They follow him.

Portia loves that Curtis wants to get to know her daughter better, and promises to take him up on the offer after the spend a little more time together, get a little more comfortable. After he… He says, after he tells Jordan. Of course (🍷). She says she knows speaking with Trina isn’t going to be easy, and he says that’s not what worries him. She says, then what is? and he asks, exactly how much did she tell Trina about them? Did she mention that they had an affair when Portia was still married to her father?

Gladys asks how her grandchild is, and if Sasha is taking good care of him or her. Sasha says, of course (🍷). This baby is her number one priority. Gladys says, like Brando is hers. If this baby is anything like his dad, be prepared for changing lots and lots of diapers. Sasha says she’s prepared, and she’s sure Brando will be prepared too, and Gladys says, of course (🍷), but Sasha and the baby can’t move in with them; there’s no room. Brando says he wanted to talk to her about that. He thinks it’s time she moved out.

Laura says Carly and Jason are planning a future together, and that is something to celebrate. She clinks her glass against Carly’s, and Carly thanks her. She asks if Laura thinks it’s too soon after Sonny, and Laura tells her not to let Gladys get to her. Carly says she’s not. She knows Gladys makes anyone a target. Laura says she has to admit, when she heard they were engaged, she was a little surprised, and Carly asks if she means so soon after Sonny’s death. Laura says she’s not passing judgement, and Carly says she’s sorry. It’s not Laura. It’s not Gladys. It’s her.

Jason tells Elizabeth that Spinelli confirmed he disengaged the cameras in the stairwells leading to the roof, and the stairwells below the parking garage. She says, so security couldn’t have seen him taking the elevator to the subbasement, and he says, or entering it either. When he didn’t find Peter’s body, he had Spinelli check the footage to see if anybody was heading down to the basement before the cameras were disabled. She says, and? Did he see someone? Jason’s phone dings, and he says, it’s Spinelli. He’s got an answer.

Anna imagines things were moving really fast. Could Finn have been mistaken about Peter’s death? He says he thinks he knows when somebody is dead, and she says, the conditions were less than ideal. Chase was in critical condition, and he needed to move Peter’s body before it was discovered. He wouldn’t be the first doctor to make a mistake. Jordan and Dante walk in, and Jordan asks what Anna and Finn are doing there. Anna says, sorry to catch them off-guard. She was just following up on what they talked about. Dante says they got a call from Monica. Some of the cameras in the hallways leading to the subbasement were also turned off. Jordan asks what Finn is doing down there.

Trina says Josslyn knows her dad is staying with Commissioner Ashford. She went by one night, and saw Curtis’s stuff in boxes, waiting for him to pick them up, but she had a good talk with Commissioner Ashford. She said the reason she and Curtis split up was because she kept too many secrets. So her mom had nothing to do with it. She sits on the edge of the pool (🍷), and puts her feet in the water. Josslyn says, so she has nothing to worry about, and joins her. Trina says, she still feels bad for Commissioner Ashford, especially since she went to Curtis’s nightclub right after. Josslyn asks, why? What happened? and Trina says, Curtis was taking off his wedding band… with her mom’s help. Josslyn says, that’s strange, and Trina says she told Ava, and Ava said not to worry, but now her mom and Curtis are dating, and she can’t shake the feeling they’ve been involved earlier. Josslyn asks, how much earlier? and Trina says, that’s what’s freaking her out. What if Curtis cheated on Commissioner Ashford with her mom?

Portia says she definitely did not tell Trina that she and Curtis were a thing when she was married to Trina’s father. That would break her heart. He says, but Trina forgave Taggert for faking his own death. If she can handle that, maybe she can handle this. Portia says she understands how he feels about secrets, and she’s usually right there with him, but how is this something Trina needs to know? He says, what if their history blows up in their faces? Secrets come out. Just ask Jordan.

Gladys says Brando is kicking her out? Sasha put her son up to this, didn’t she? Brando says, no, it was his idea. He needs the second bedroom for the baby. She asks if Sasha is moving in too, and he says, they’re not ready for that yet. Sasha says, but there will be times the baby stays overnight with Brando. Gladys says, and will sleep in his room. Brando is going to need her help changing diapers, and getting up for late-night feedings. He says he thinks he can handle it. The baby needs a nursery though, so she’ll have to find a place to live. She says he can’t afford her rent, especially since he’s not working for Jason and Carly; that’s where the money is. He says he’s not paying; she will. She asks how he expects her to pay for it, and he says, the same way everyone else does. Get a job.

Laura asks if Carly is having second thoughts, but Carly says, not at all. She and Jason made this decision together, and their committed. There’s no one else she’d rather spend her life with. Laura says she can think of one other person, and Carly says she loved Sonny. She still does. She misses him so much; she thinks about him a thousand times a day. Sometimes, she starts to text him a picture of Donna, or she wakes up thinking he’s going to climb into bed next to her. Laura says, of course (🍷) she does. Love doesn’t go away overnight. Carly says, Jason gets that. He’s grieving for Sonny too. Laura says, a part of Carly will always be with Sonny, and him with her. And that’s okay. It’s only natural that the friendship she has with Jason would develop into more now that Sonny is gone

Jason tells Elizabeth, Spinelli saw nothing on the security footage to indicate anyone got to the elevator down to the lab before he did. She says, Cyrus had the cameras turned off when he was the head of GH. There was no surveillance when Finn confronted Peter on the roof, and pushed him down the stairs. He says, or when she and Finn put Peter’s body in the freezer. The cameras stayed off for several more weeks. There’s no way to know who took Peter’s body.

Anna says she told Dante that the pilot was supposed to pick Peter up from the roof. Dante says he let Jordan know, and Jordan says, and someone else was on the roof with Peter. Anna says she thought she’d retrace Peter’s steps since he wasn’t picked up by the helicopter. Finn took her to the roof, then she found the abandoned elevator shaft, and came to the subbasement. She was vaguely familiar with this place. Jordan asks how Finn got involved, and he says when he saw Anna on her way to the roof, she told him what she was doing, and he offered to help. He thought he could find some hidden exit that Peter used. Dante tells Jordan he found some blood.

Gladys says, what kind of job? and Brando says she has tons of work experience. She says, he means slinging hash, selling perfume at department stores, and cleaning houses? He says, it’s honest work, and she says, it was hard work. Sometimes, Mike would hit the right pony, and threw a few bucks her way, just so she could put food on the table, and not send Brando to school in torn shirts. He says he appreciates it. Didn’t he send her money when he was in the military? Sasha says, when she told everyone Brando was dead? and he says, the point is, his kid deserves the best life he and Sasha can give them. And that means turning the spare bedroom into a nursery, and filling it with a crib, and toys, and a changing table. Gladys asks where she’s supposed to live, and who would hire her? She’s not as young as she used to be. Sasha says she’ll hire Gladys. Work at Deception.

Carly says she guesses she’s not used to the idea of marrying her best friend, and Laura says she and Doc were friends long before they fell in love. Those are the best marriages. Carly asks if their friendship changed, and Laura says, if anything, they got closer, because they started out as friends. Doc gave her this amazing sense of stability. That no matter how crazy life got – and it did – he’d be there to catch her if she fell. They can disagree, and they still like each other, and respect each other. They work well together; they complement each other. In time, their feelings for each other deepened. Carly says she’s lucky, and Laura agrees. She gives thanks every day for Doc. She doesn’t know how she would have gotten through this tragedy with Lulu without him.

Josslyn tells Trina, when she was a kid, she thought her parents were perfect. When she grew up, she found out they make mistakes like everyone else. Trina asks if Josslyn thinks her mom lied about when she started seeing Curtis? but Josslyn says she doesn’t know Trina’s mom like Trina does. Does it seem like something she’d do? Trina says, blow up someone else’s marriage? Her mom’s not like that. Josslyn says, then she probably didn’t. Trina says Josslyn is right, but it’s unsettling. If something sketchy was happening, and Curtis could do that to Commissioner Ashford, he could turn around and do it to her mom. Josslyn says, at the end of the day, they’re adults, and what they do is their business, not Trina’s. Trina says, wrong, and gets in the pool (🍷).

Portia says the secrets Jordan kept from Curtis have nothing to do what she does or doesn’t tell her daughter. Curtis respectfully disagrees. Secrets are alike in one pivotal way. They’re ticking timebombs, waiting to explode, hurting everyone who’s close to them. There’s already too many people who know about the affair they had when she was still married to Taggert. She says, Taggert would never ever tell Trina, and neither would Jordan. His Aunt Stella likes to stick her nose where it doesn’t belong, but she doesn’t think even Stella would want to hurt Trina in that way. He says he knows Laura would never say anything, but when this many people know about a secret, it’s bound to get out, intentional or not. He’s surprised she’s not more worried about this, and she says she’s surprised how hard he’s pushing her to go against her better judgement, and tell her daughter something that serves no purpose and she doesn’t think Trina should know. Curtis says, hold on. Are they having a fight?

Jordan and Dante look at the blood, and Dante says, if Peter made his way down there from to roof, he could be hurt. Jordan says, or maybe he hurt the person he was on the roof with. Dante says he’ll check the corridor, and see if there’s any more evidence. Jordan tells Anna and Finn, it’s officially a crime scene, so don’t touch anything, but Anna says they already did. They were in such a rush, neither one of them thought to glove-up. Jordan will have to tell forensics to account for their fingerprints and DNA. Jordan says she’ll let them know, and leaves. Finn thanks Anna for covering for him, but what happens to her if Jordan finds out she was withholding information?

Jason tells Elizabeth, the cameras were off for weeks before anyone made it to the subbasement. Anybody could have gone down there and not been seen. She says, that’s the point. Nobody goes down there. Most people don’t know the subbasement even exists. It’s not even on the hospital floorplans. He tells her to take him through what happened again; what she saw, not what Finn told her. Everything she remembers. She says she was worried about Finn, and we flash back to the scene as she talks. When she got to the 10th floor stairwell, she found Peter’s body. He was lying on the landing, bleeding from the back of the head. It was obvious he had fallen. She checked for a pulse, and couldn’t find one. She looked up and saw Finn standing in the doorway to the roof. Then he came down the stairs. Peter was dead. Finn couldn’t risk an investigation when Chase was critical, and that’s when she remembered the elevator on the roof that goes straight down to Helena’s lab. So they dragged Peter’s body up to the roof, and into the elevator, and down to the lab, and put him in the freezer. Then she went back to the stairwell to clean up the blood, and make it look like nothing ever happened. Jason asks if she’s sure she checked Peter’s pulse, and she says, yes. There was no pulse; he wasn’t breathing. He asks if Finn checked Peter’s pulse, and she says she thinks so. Honestly, she doesn’t know; she doesn’t remember. Why? Jason says, maybe he wasn’t dead, but she says, of course (🍷) he was dead. She and Finn know what dead looks like. He says, they were in a panic and rushed. Maybe they made a mistake. She asks if Jason thinks Peter climbed out of the freezer and just walked away, and he says, either that, or someone saw them, and took his body. She says she thinks Anna and Finn may have some answers. She’s calling Finn.

Anna tells Finn not to worry about her. The police believe Peter’s still alive, and with no body, there’s no evidence of a crime. Finn says, there’s blood, but she says, they can’t connect it to him. He says, so they’re just going to let them assume Peter is alive? and she says, they can’t be sure he’s not.

Gladys says, work at Deception? As a model, like Elizabeth Hurley? Sasha says she was thinking of something more administrative. They have an assistant position open. She’d be answering phones, helping with scheduling, answering emails… Gladys says, sounds tedious, and Sasha asks what Gladys thinks of when she thinks of Deception? Gladys says, glamour, the beauty, perfect women… Sasha says, and that’s what people will think of her when they find out she’s working for the company. They’ll know she has a glamorous job, dealing with beautiful people. They will be in awe of her, knowing she’s part of Deception’s world. Brando looks like he’s in awe of Sasha’s smooth talking, and Gladys asks if she can have free makeup; all the products. Sasha says, of course (🍷), and Gladys says, then she’ll take it, but the first person who asks her to make coffee… Sasha says, will be told to make their own coffee. Gladys laughs, and Brando smiles.

Carly tells Laura, when Michael was a baby, all she wanted was to marry Jason. Now she’s actually marrying him. She knows it’s the right thing for her family, and Laura asks why she sounds so unconvinced. Carly says, she’d like to think Sonny would approve, but wonders if it’s wishful thinking. Something she’s telling herself to feel better about moving on so soon after Sonny’s passing. Laura say she knows Sonny just adored Carly, and she knows Sonny would understand. In fact, she thinks he’d be grateful Jason is there to look after her.

Anna tells Finn, with no body, and a potential blood trail, they have to consider the possibility that Peter is still alive. He says, maybe she believes that because it might exonerate him, or at least reduce the charges, and she says, Finn put him in the freezer, and he’s not there. They have to figure out what happened to him. Finn wonders where they begin, and she says, that is the question of the hour. They divide and conquer. She’ll take the police, and he can find Elizabeth. She clearly wanted to say something to him when she interrupted their conversation. He starts leave, but stops and thanks her.

Elizabeth tells Jason, she and Finn have tortured themselves since this happened. Afraid to leave Peter’s body in the freezer, in case somebody finds it, but unable to move it. What if they’ve been worrying all this time for nothing? What if someone moved the body the minute they left the lab? He says, that’s the best thing that could happen. Peter’s gone. No body; nothing to cover up. It’s like nothing happened. There’s a knock at the door, and Finn says it’s him. Elizabeth opens the door, and Finn says, whoa, when he sees Jason. Elizabeth tells him that Jason knows everything, and Finn says, so does Anna. Elizabeth asks if they found the body. Did they move it? He says, there was no body. Nothing. It was empty. And the PCPD are investigating. She asks if they know, and he says, Anna covered for him. Jason asks, what about Elizabeth? and Finn says he left her out of it. No one knows she’s involved.

Jordan tells Anna that she’s called in her top crime scene investigators and forensic specialists to investigate what happened down there. Anna asks, what about the K-9 unit? and Jordan says it was her first call. Dante joins them, and says, found something.

Gladys says she must prepare for her new life. Sasha won’t regret hiring her. She kisses Brando on the cheek, and says she’ll see Brando at home. She leaves, and Brando does a slow applaud, saying, bravo. Good work. Sasha deserves the gold medal for handling Gladys. It takes years of hard practice. Does she know what she got herself into? Sasha nods, and says, keeping his mother busy, and out of their lives. Now they can finally have some privacy before the baby comes. He says, before their lives explode in a million pieces of joy and dirty diapers. Sasha thinks the joy will outweigh the dirty diapers, and he says he’s counting on it.

As they get out of the pool (🍷), Josslyn asks what Trina is going to do about her mom and Curtis. Trina says, the first thing is keeping an eye on Curtis. If he’s not treating her mom right, he will know pain. Josslyn says she almost feels sorry for that man. Remind her not to get on Trina’s bad side. Trina says she can’t think of any situation where that might happen, and Josslyn says, same here.

Portia tells Curtis, no. They’re not having a fight. They’re having a disagreement, and it’s over. He says, fight or disagreement, he doesn’t want her mad at him. Trina’s anger was scary enough. She asks where he thinks Trina got it from. Does he want more wine? He says, that depends on her, and she suggests they save the wine until after he speaks with Jordan, and after their first official date. He asks what that date looks like, and she says, definitely dinner, some candlelight, a bit of soft music, and seeing where the night takes them from there.

Dante says he found more blood, and Jordan asks, how much? He says, if it’s Peter’s, he’s hurt really bad. She says, they’ll find out. She just told Anna that she’s throwing everything at this. Anna asks, what’s her first step? and Jordan says, finding the man on the roof with Peter.

Carly says she does think Sonny would approve of her marrying Jason, and Laura says, but it doesn’t make her miss him any less. Carly says, no, and Laura says, the thing about marriage is, it’s not a sprint. It’s definitely a long distance race, made up of a million different moments shared between two people, big and small. Personally, she thinks it’s a huge advantage to going into that with someone you already know and trust. She thinks over time, Jason will take more of Carly’s heart. That’s how it was for her and Doc. Carly puts her hand on Laura’s hand.

Elizabeth thanks Finn for keeping her off Jordan’s radar, and he says, of course (🍷). He thinks Anna suspects someone helped him move the body, but she’s keeping quiet about it. The police believe Peter’s alive, so they have that working for them. Elizabeth asks what Jason thinks, and Jason says, as long as the cops don’t know they put the body in the freezer, he thinks they’re off the hook – for now.

Tomorrow, Nikolas tells Sam to stop looking for Hayden, unless she wants trouble; Trina asks if Josslyn is warning her away from Spencer; Spencer asks Ava if they can put the past behind them; and Valentin asks Anna why Finn needs protecting.

No glow sticks should be all of our worst problem. Methinks this is a CYA move from a bad guest. The worst was how they kept calling Captain Sandy girl. I also doubt they were told not to say Bravo, since that’s not a thing.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Cameron’s graduation celebration at Charlie’s has begun, and Laura asks how it feels to be graduating. He says it’s awesome, and Portia says they’re so proud of all the kids have accomplished. Laura says, they persevered, even thrived. It’s truly admirable. Trina asks if they can believe they’re headed for college. Soon she’ll be in a dorm. Portia asks if she can please enjoy the last few months with Trina, and Trina says she’s not moving to another state. She’s not even moving to another city. Besides, she knows her mom, and Portia will be getting into all kinds of trouble with her out of the house. Freedom! She and Cameron high-five, and Curtis walks in.

Doc tells Nikolas, it was very nice of Ava to close Charlie’s for this. He’s just sorry she can’t be there. Nikolas says he is too, and Doc says Laura filled him in; he’s sorry to hear about the divorce. Nikolas says, there’s not going to be a divorce. He’s doing everything in his power to make sure Ava and Avery come home to him.

Nina walks into the gallery, and asks Ava if she’s ready for their long overdue catching up. She knows they said martinis, but she reconsidered, and brought wine for the occasion. Ava says, thank you, no. She’s mainlining water right now. Did they set something up? Not that she’s not happy to see Nina; she is. Nina says Ava doesn’t remember because they didn’t set anything up, but she saw Ava’s post from last night. Throwing her wedding rings at Nikolas’s foot? Ava says, one of her finest moments, to be sure, and Nina pulls up a chair, saying, Ava has to spill. When Ava mentioned divorce, she thought Ava was exaggerating. She and Nikolas were in love. What happened?

Bobbie says Josslyn got the biggest cheer when she went up to get her diploma, and Josslyn says, because they were so loud. Carly says, even Jason piped in, and Jason says, it doesn’t happen often, but when it’s something as important as Josslyn graduating high school… Josslyn says she’s glad he was there, and he says, him too. Michael says, his little sister, all grown up, and Josslyn says, college bound. He says, it seems like only yesterday he was teaching her to dive a speedboat, and she says, now he eats her wake. He asks if he can have a hug, or is she too cool for that now? but she says she’s never too cool for a hug, so they do.

Carly tells Jax that he doesn’t have to worry. Whatever he did to Michael, he doesn’t have to worry. Michael would never tell Josslyn. He would never do that to his sister.

Jason’s phone rings. It’s Britt, who says, she was thinking, since they got interrupted last night, how would he like to have dinner with her on Friday?

Jax tells Michael, what a day, and Michael agrees. Jax says he’s really happy for Josslyn, and Michael asks if they can not do this small talk thing. Jax says, he’ll get straight to the point then; thank you. Michael says, for what? and Jax says, for not telling Josslyn about what happened between them. Michael says, what happened? That’s a nice way of putting Jax blackmailed him. He’s not going to tell Josslyn because Jax is her father, and it would break her heart, but to be clear, he might be smiling in photos with Jax, but he hasn’t forgotten or forgiven him. Jax broke something, and the worst part is, he didn’t even have to. Jax made his choice, now he has to live with the consequences. Michael walks away, and Josslyn comes by. Jax says, there’s his graduate, and she asks if everything is okay. He says, everything is fine, but more important, how is she doing? She says she’s good, and he says, she just graduated high school with honors and she’s just good? She says she’s on the fence about going to Cameron’s party, and he asks if things are still tense between them. She says, it’s not so much tense, but distant. They’re headed in different directions, so she doesn’t know. Now that Cameron is going to PCU, she guesses all that could change. He says, if they’re drifting apart, and Cameron is no longer going to be a part of her life, would she miss him? and she says, yes, a lot. He says he thinks that says it all, doesn’t she?

Jason asks if Britt can meet him tonight, and she says, absolutely. What time? He asks if now is good, and she hesitates, but says, now is great. She’s in her room at the MetroCourt. He says he’ll see her soon, and she looks around her mess of a room. She says, crap, jumps up, and heads for the bathroom.

In the MetroCourt restaurant, Obrecht says she’s glad Scotty could join her for coffee, but he says he can’t really stay. He’s late. She asks if he’s meeting with a client, but he says, no. Cameron’s graduation party. Just like that – he snaps his fingers – Cameron is off to college. She says she sees; a family only affair. He says, Trina’s coming, and Trina’s mother, Josslyn… He doesn’t really know. She asks if he could bring a date.

Ava says she and Nikolas can’t be together, and Nina says, that sounds very different that not wanting to be together. Ava says, it’s not really what she wants, and puts her hand to her head. She says she has this headache, and really needs it to go away before Trina’s party. Nina says she’s so sorry. Curtis invited her. Ava asks if she’s going, and Nina says she doesn’t know. She has a gift for Josslyn, but thought it would be weird to just show up on Carly’s doorstep. Ava says, it would; that’s good thinking. Nina says she doesn’t mean to be rude, but Ava doesn’t exactly look party ready. Ava laughs, and says to tell her the truth, it’s the last thing she feels like doing, but she told Trina she’d be there, so she’ll be there. Nina asks if Ava has eaten, and Ava says, no. Nina suggests they grab a bite, and then go to the Savoy, and Ava says, okay. Nina says, great. Let’s go. Ava can tell her what’s really going on with her and Nikolas. She grabs Ava’s hand and pulls her up.

Curtis congratulates Portia on her day, and Portia thanks him. She says she didn’t realize he’d be there. Doesn’t he have to get ready for tonight? He says, please. He has people for that. Being the boss means you get to show up when the party starts. I dunno about that. It is the soft opening. He says, she looks beautiful. Is she ready to party, or what? She says she has to make a call to check on one of her patients, excuses herself, and walks off.

Trina and Cameron see Jake, and Trina asks, who won, him or Aiden? He says, won what? and she asks who gets Cameron’s room when Cameron goes to the dorm, and who stays in the one they share now? Cameron asks who says, he’s giving up his room? They’ll have to fight for it. Jake says, no battle. Aiden can have it. He likes the room he has. Cameron says, Jake is the older brother, and his room is bigger; Jake should have it. Jake says, his has better lighting, and Aiden doesn’t care. He spends most of his time in the kitchen. He’d rather keep the room he has. He tells them that he’s going to say hi to his grandma, and leaves. Trina says she guesses Jake is still mad at Cameron for accusing his father of killing Franco, and Cameron says he wishes Jake would get mad. He wishes they could have a huge, screaming fight, where Jake could unload all his anger, but it’s not like that; it’s just… polite. Josslyn warned him this could happen. That by the time he realized he was wrong and was ready to apologize, it would be too late. She says, it’s never too late. He’s Jake’s older brother, and Jake wants to forgive him. He’s just got to give Jake a chance. He says he’s apologized, and she says, keep apologizing until Jake knows he means it. Deep down, Jake misses Cameron as much as Cameron misses Jake.

Nikolas sits down with Doc, and says, whoever’s sending these threats, has Ava afraid for Avery’s life. Doc says he’s been keeping an eye on Ryan’s condition, and hasn’t changed at all, but Nikolas says he doesn’t think Ryan is the stalker. Doc says, Ava does, and Nikolas says, or someone equally as dangerous. He has to prove to her whoever is doing this is just playing head games, and there’s no reason for them to be apart. Doc says, it would help if they knew who the stalker was, and Nikolas says, it just so happens, he may find out tonight. Doc asks, how? and Nikolas says, he set a trap.

Jason tells Josslyn that he has to go, and she says, that’s okay. She thinks she’s going to go to Cameron’s party now… unless that’s weird. He says, for him? He doesn’t have a grudge against Cameron. She says, really? and he says he appreciates her having his back, but she never has to be the one who fights for him. He doesn’t ever want something he did to cost her a friendship or anything else. She thanks him, but says, she stood up for him because he was innocent. As much as she hated fighting with Cameron, she couldn’t pretend to believe something that she just didn’t. Yes, Cameron was grieving, and probably not thinking clearly, which is why she chose to forgive him, but defending Jason was as much for her as it was for him. He says he’s so proud of her; he loves her. She says she loves him too, and they hug. Jason goes over to Carly, and says, Britt called. He’s going to go see her. She says, okay, and he leaves.

Scotty says, so Obrecht wants to go to Cameron’s party? and she says, why not? He says he just didn’t give it any thought, and she says, he doesn’t want her there? He says he didn’t know she’d be interested, and she says, well, she is. He says, let’s go, and she says, yeah? He says, yah, and they get up. Nina and Ava walk in, and Obrecht hugs Nina, saying she didn’t know Nina was back in town. Nina says, surprise, and Scotty tells Ava that he has a little legal business to discuss. Nina and Obrecht step away to chat, and Scotty tells Ava that he talked to Nikolas’s lawyer about what they discussed. Ava says, and? and Scotty says, he knows nothing. She says, he knew nothing about how to proceed? but Scotty says, he knew nothin’ about nothin’. Nikolas never called him about the divorce.

Nikolas asks Doc, the stalker is focused on Ava, and where does she go every day? Doc says, the gallery, and Nikolas says, he added some extra security and connected it to his phone. If the stalker trips the silent alarm, he’ll know about it. Doc asks if the gallery doesn’t already have security, and Nikolas says, so does Windymere. It didn’t stop them from getting around it. He added a motion sensor at the entrance that only he knows about. Doc says Nikolas isn’t thinking of confronting this person on his own, is he?

Laura asks if Elizabeth has heard from Scotty, and Elizabeth says, he just texted and he’s running late. And he’s bringing a friend. Any idea who that is? Laura says she thinks she might.

Trina asks Cameron where Josslyn is, but he says he doesn’t know. She never gave him a formal yes or no. Trina says, she’ll be there. Josslyn and Cameron are back to being friends, right? He says he hopes so.

Britt straightens up her room like a madwoman, and gets dressed. Jason knocks at the door, and she tells him, come in. She took the liberty of ordering dinner since they have to eat, but the night is totally flexible. We can eat before… or after, or… What’s wrong? He says he has something to tell her, and really needs her to hear him out.

Scotty says hi to Elizabeth, who says she didn’t realize Obrecht was his mystery guest. Obrecht says she’s thrilled to be part of their family gathering, and Scotty says he’ll get them a couple of stiff drinks. Elizabeth says she’s glad Obrecht could join them, and Obrecht says she thinks Franco would be too, doesn’t Elizabeth? Laura tells Scotty, bringing Obrecht to a family celebration. Wow. Big step. She laughs, and asks if she’s reading too much into it.

Nikolas tells Cameron to enjoy his moment; he’s proud of him. He hugs Cameron, and goes to the bar. Cameron asks if Trina heard that Nikolas and Ava are getting a divorce. Trina says she did. Ava tried to hide it, but she looked miserable at the ceremony.

Ava tells Nina, she’s been getting threats. Nothing violent yet. Just a creepy little gifts and notes. Whoever is doing this obviously doesn’t want her and Nikolas together. Nina says, so that’s it? Some whacko is fixated on breaking them up, and Ava goes immediately to divorce? Ava says, not immediately, but everything changed once the whacko made it clear they could get to Avery.

Josslyn asks Carly if she’s sure it’s okay if she goes, and Carly says, it’s her graduation night. She can do what she wants… within reason. She hugs Josslyn, and says she’s proud of her. Jax says he thinks she speaks for them all, and Bobbie says, he definitely speaks for her. She hugs Josslyn, and tells her, have a good time. Carly says Milo is going to be with Josslyn all night. Don’t go anywhere without him. Josslyn says, copy that, and Michael says he loves her. You did good, little sis. She says, so sentimental, and he says, just this once. She asks him to give Wiley a kiss for her, and he says, of course (🍷). Jax says he’ll walk her out, and on their way to the door, she says she wishes Lady Jane could have been there. Jax says, him too, but she was with them in spirit, and so were Morgan and Sonny. She says, and Grandpa Mike, and he says, right. Everyone who loved her. Now go paint the town red, or whatever the PCU colors are. She hugs him, and says she’ll call him tomorrow. She leaves, and Jax tells Carly that he’s thinking of heading out, but she asks him to wait a minute. There’s something he should hear. They go back to the living room, where Bobbie and Michael are, and Carly says she knows they have lives to get back to, but bear with her minute. She has something important to tell them.

Britt says Jason sounds ominous, and he tells her, what he’s going to say changes things… a lot. She says, don’t make her stand there and dread it; spit it out. He says he and Carly are getting married. She laughs, and says that might possibly be the last thing she expected to come out of his mouth. She would think he was joking, but he doesn’t do that. He says, it’s not a joke, and she says, when did… How long have you been.. engaged? He says, it just happened, and she says, like right before he got there? He says, yeah, more or less. They realized it’s what’s best for the family and each other for them get married, so that’s what they’re going to do. She says, okay. Thanks for the update. You can go now. She heard him; he’s getting married. She opens the door, and says, get the hell out of her room. I hate Carly even more now, and hope Jason never sleeps through another night.

Laura says, so? and Curtis says, so… She says he and Portia seem to be enjoying each other’s company a lot. Has he asked her out yet? He asks if they’re in junior high, and she laughs and says, yes. He says, they’re just friends, but she says, not from where she’s standing. Friends don’t generate those kind of sparks.

Josslyn comes in, and Trina says, told you. Cameron says Josslyn made it, and Josslyn says she did. He hands her something to drink, and she says, they’ve been friends for a long time; nothing can change that. Trina says, finally, they can celebrate properly. She doesn’t know what else to say except, they did it. Cameron says, they did it, and Josslyn says, this is huge. They clink Solo cups.

Nina says, the teddy bear with Ryan’s voice is beyond creepy. Ava says, it’s disturbing. Luckily, Avery thought it was just a toy, but she got the message loud and clear. She even sent Avery to stay with Carly, just in case. Nina says, that must have been hard, and Ava says, it broke her heart, but she knew it was the right thing to do, like she knows she and Nikolas must divorce. Nina says, Nikolas doesn’t feel the same way, and Ava says, no, but despite how much they love each other, she and Nikolas are coming from different places. Kiki was murdered, and it’s not something she’s just going to get over. Nina says, she shouldn’t, and Ava says, Nikolas doesn’t have a memory like that, but she does. She simply can’t take any chances. If she ignored this, and stayed with Nikolas, and something happened to Avery, she wouldn’t survive; she just wouldn’t.

Carly says she and Jason are getting married, and Bobbie says, Jason who? Carly says, what does she mean, Jason who? Their Jason. Jason Morgan. Bobbie says, it’s a little sudden, and Carly says, it is, and it isn’t. They’ve both been struggling since Sonny died, and left a big hole in their lives. She knows they’re not unique to that; everyone has their own grief and loss. But after their friendship, and all the years they’ve known each other… Sonny wasn’t just her husband; he was Jason’s best friend. The three of them were a team, and the central person is now gone, and Jason’s the only person who really knows what she’s going through. And not just that. They need each other, and Sonny would want them to take care of each other. They’re not just doing this for themselves, but they’re doing it for their family, and she’s asking them to accept it. I hate Carly.

Jason goes to the door, but closes it. He says, yes, he’s marrying Carly and he can’t be with Britt the way they were, but he understands what she’s facing. He said he’d be there for her, and he will. She says, wow, unbelievable. Thanks but no thanks. She doesn’t need his pity, and definitely doesn’t need his support. She doesn’t know why she’s so surprised. It was obvious from the day they met, Carly comes first. They have a commitment between them that can’t be broken. She witnessed it the night Carly literally opened a vein for him, and gave him her blood. That’s great. Good for them, but she’s not going to stand in line waiting got a few minutes of his time, like some charity case, because he happened to be with her when she found out she was dying. He says, that’s not the way he sees her… but she says, it’s good. Trust her. He did her a solid. Even she can admit that, with his whole, if it suffocates you rather than frees you thing. He’s right; now she knows. She has her whole life ahead of her, but you know what? He will not be there for her. He will not show up for her. He will not lend her a hand, or anything. Because he’s now otherwise engaged, pun intended.

Ava tells Nina, she has to admit Avery is happy at Carly’s. The next thing on her list is finding a place to live. She can’t camp out at this hotel forever. Nina says she has an idea. Why  doesn’t Ava camp out in her newly decorated guest room? She’ll be the first to stay in it. Ava says she couldn’t impose, but Nina says, she’s not. Besides, it used to be Ava’s apartment. Ava says Nina paid fair market price, and Nina says, thanks for the not discount. That doesn’t mean she can’t offer a really good friend a room. Besides, Ava would be doing her a favor; she’s hardly ever there, and her future plans are up in the air. Ava asks if it’s got anything to do with Nina’s new friend, and Nina says, she and Mike/Sonny have a connection; at least it feels that way. It has none of the disfunction of her past relationships. Ava says, so no lying, no deception, like with Valentin, and Nina says, no. Mike is an open book. Ava asks, what’s this guy do? and Nina says, he’s a bartender. She met him through her friend Phyllis. They have a lot of fun together. Ava asks, how much fun? and Nina tells her to get her mind out of the gutter. They haven’t even had a real date. She’s just happy to be around him. Ava says, it sounds so nice, like it has real potential. Nina says, could be, and Ava asks, when Nina isn’t in Port Charles, is she thinking about being with Mike.

Michael congratulates Carly, and Bobbie says, yeah. If any two people know what they’re getting into, it’s Carly and Jason. They trust each other implicitly. Carly says, they do, and Bobbie says, if it feels right, she’s all for it. Michael says he is too, and Carly says, so soon after his dad passed? He tells her, like she said, dad would want this. For her, for Jason, for all of them. He believes Sonny would understand better than anyone. Carly says Jax is awful quiet over there, and he says no one ever stopped her and Jason from doing what they wanted to. He wouldn’t dream of trying now. She says she’d appreciate it if he kept it quiet. She’d like to tell Josslyn herself; she knows Josslyn is going to have a lot of questions. He says, ya think? and she asks if that’s a yes. He says he thinks he’s going to do what he thinks is best for their daughter, and walks out. Bobbie says she guesses not everyone is thrilled with this development.

Britt asks why Jason is still there, and he says, because she matters to him. Not just because she saved his life. He cares about her. Britt wipes her tears away, and says he has an interesting way of showing it. He says he’s not the kind of person who spends a lot of time thinking about if things were different, but if things were different, they’d be at dinner on Friday; they’d be in that bed right now. She says, remember when he told her, he’s not good at what ifs? She really liked that about him. Don’t lose it now; just get out. She turns her back to him, and he reluctantly leaves. She cries, and I hate Carly.

Someone dressed like a ninja walks into the gallery with a tool bag. We see their eyes, and it looks like it might be a woman. Hmm… I wonder if it’s Hayden.

Laura asks Portia, where’s Trina? and Portia says, she went to the gallery to talk to Ava. She wanted to let Ava know that she doesn’t have to feel pressured to come tonight. Laura says, always thinking of others, her little girl, and Portia says, not so little anymore. Laura guesses not, and Portia says she’s so sorry to hear about Ava and Nikolas, but Laura says, relationships don’t happen in a vacuum. Sometimes outside forces can pull a couple apart. Portia looks at Curtis.

Cameron tells Josslyn, this is going to be the summer of the lake, doesn’t she think? Before things get crazy? She says, it sounds great, but she doesn’t know how much time she’ll be able to spend there. The PCU volleyball team starts training in a couple of weeks, and their schedule is intense. He says he totally understands. She’s going to be pretty busy. She says, looks like it.

The ninja hears someone, and grabs their tool bag. Trina walks in, and call out, asking if Ava is there.

Nikolas’s phone chirps, and Doc asks if that’s what he’s been waiting for. Nikolas says, yeah. He has to go. Doc says he’ll come; Nikolas shouldn’t go alone. Nikolas says he’ll call the police on his way there, which we all know he has no intention of doing.

Nina tells Ava that she’s thought of relocating, and it’s not just Mike. She’s fallen in love with the town. She loves the people, and loves who she is when she’s there. Of course (🍷) this was before Michael changed his mind about Wiley. Now she’s just trying to figure out what to do about Mike. Ava says, that’s not a big deal. Get to know him some more, figure out what he means to her, and if she can’t live without him, maybe he could come there. Nina says, no, that can’t happen, but Ava says, he’s a bartender; he can work anywhere. Nina says they should get going. Trina’s party is probably starting… Ava asks why Nina has to choose between having Mike or Wiley in her life. She can have both, can’t she? Nina says, trust her. If she knows one thing, it’s that there’s no future for her and Mike in Port Charles.

Bobbie says she doesn’t know how Carly is going to tell Monica, but she would proceed with extreme caution. She is not going to be happy. Michael says, actually… No. Bobbie is right. She’s going to hate this. Carly says she and Jason have weathered worse than Monica. They’ll be fine. Jason comes in, and Bobbie tells him, congratulations, and hugs him. She says, welcome to the family, not that he hasn’t always been a part of it. She says she has to go, and tells Carly they’ll talk soon. Jason says, so Michael’s mom told them the news? and Michael says, she told them that they’re getting married, and she explained why, but she didn’t explain everything, did she? He looks at Carly.

Curtis tells Portia and Laura, he’s about to get ready for the next party. Laura says, have a good time, and Portia says she’ll see him there, and he leaves.

Scotty says he’s so glad Obrecht came with him, and she says he’s welcome for the suggestion. He asks if that’s a smile he sees on that pretty face of hers, and she says she’s just happy. She’s with a nice man, and Britt is with a nice, if somewhat dangerous man. All is right with the world.

Britt shoves the cart with dinner on it into the hallway, leans on the door, and cries. She pulls herself together, and says, to hell with him. She gets her bag and jacket, and leaves.

Josslyn follows Cameron outside, and says, even with volleyball, she’ll always make time for him and Trina. Save her a chair at the lake for her. He says, it’s going to be a great summer, and she says, yeah, but they start with tonight. He says, they do. Shall we? He gives her his arm, and she takes it, and says, we shall. Scotty and Elizabeth watch them from the window.

Trina goes back into the main gallery room, and runs into someone. I think it’s Nikolas, but we don’t see a face, and he and the ninja are both dressed in black.

Tomorrow, Curtis tells Portia that he thinks it’s intentional, Doc believes the trap has been sprung, and Michael doubts that’s the reason why Carly and Jason have to get married.

👑 🥀 Good Night, Sweet Prince…

I was remiss in not posting this yesterday. Stuart Damon was truly a treasure. I actually stopped watching GH for a while after they killed Alan off. Realizing their mistake, and bringing him back as a ghost did not make it any better. I still miss him reading the Christmas story at the hospital party every year, and no one will ever be as charming of a prince.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Sasha brings take-out coffee into the garage, and Brando asks if she got one for him. She says she got him a latte, and he thanks her. She says she thinks she left her phone there, and he says she did. He found it in the car after she left, and he put it in the back. She says she wants to tell him something, and he says, that it shouldn’t have happened, but she says she was about to say she’s glad it did, and Brando smiles.

Sonny asks if Nina is okay, and Nina says, yeah, wrong number. He says he made coffee, and she says she’s desperate. He says she’s not desperate. All she has to do is take her time, and it’s up to her to pick and choose where she goes from here. She asks if he’s talking about Eli, and he says she barely knows Eli. She says, Phyllis and Lenny are fond of him, and Sonny says, but Eli is a stranger to Nina. As a matter-of-fact, so is he.

Valentin asks Anna if she has any news about Chase, and she says Finn is keeping her up to date. They haven’t made a diagnosis that it’s poison yet, but she and Valentin can’t tell them. Peter will take off with the antidote. He says, so they honor the agreement, and wait while Peter reconciles with Maxie, and she says, they have to fix this.  Jason is in prison, thanks to Cyrus, and Peter is going to take off. Valentin says, not if he can do anything about it. Carly meets them at the door of her house, saying, the guards let her know they were there. She invites them in, and says, no more waiting around. They have to act now.

At Perdino’s, Laura leaves a phone message for Nikolas, saying, she doesn’t know what’s worse. Him being in league with Cyrus, or him going radio silent. Please call her back. Martin comes in, and says he couldn’t help overhearing her leave a message for her son. She asks why it’s his business, and he says he was hoping Nikolas kept his promise. Laura asks what her son promised him. More to the point, what did Martin offer Nikolas in return?

On the phone, Nikolas says he’s narrowed the search to a bakery in Stowe, Vermont where he thinks Martin ordered a hummingbird cake for his mother’s birthday. He knows it’s a long shot, but he needs to know if Martin, or anyone else, ordered a hummingbird cake from the bakery, and he needs to know any corresponding address. Call him as soon as they have some names. Ava asks if he’s really doing this; finding Cyrus’s mother, despite the fact that she and Laura advised against it. He says, if bringing Florence back to her son means keeping Alexis safe, then she’s right, he’s doing this.

Alexis’s cellmate Maggie brings her to the gym/yard area, and says, they have an hour of the yard, and then do the work they’re assigned. You don’t learn to survive by lessons some advisor gives you. If you’re tough, you survive. If not… A large, disappointingly stereotypical inmate walks over to Alexis, who asks if she can help her. The inmate pushes her.

Maggie says, this one is new, Elda. Don’t worry. She’ll keep her in line. Elda walks away, and Alexis asks Maggie what the hell Elda’s problem is. Maggie tells her, steer clear. If Elda takes a dislike to her, compared to what she can do, incarceration will seem like a day at the spa. Alexis asks if the guard just watches, and Maggie says Alexis has a lot to learn. Alexis says that’s what Sam warned her about, and Maggie asks who Sam is; Alexis’s husband? Alexis says, her daughter. She said being locked up would seem like a foreign land, with its own rules and languages. She’ll have to be more careful if she’s going to survive another day, let alone three years.

Ava tells Nikolas, once Cyrus’s mother is back, Cyrus will have no incentive to help Alexis. Not to mention he’ll have free reign to get even with Jason and Carly for taking Florence in the first place. Nikolas says, all that power and money won’t give Cyrus the one thing he’ll want after he gets his mother back. Ava says, Cyrus has money. Sonny is gone, and Jason is in prison, so Sonny’s territory is ripe for a takeover. What more could Cyrus possibly want? He asks what means more to them than money and power, and she says, love and family. Cyrus thinks Nikolas can convince Laura to accept him as part of the family. He says, it worked with Martin. He offered to repair Martin’s relationship with Laura, and Martin offered him a clue that might lead him to Florence. Ava says, the bakery where he got Florence the cake, and Nikolas says, Cyrus will come back to him sooner or later, and ask him to build a bridge to his sister. Ava says Nikolas is actually kind of sexy when he has things figured out, and they kiss.

Martin tells Laura, he gave Nikolas nothing; he has nothing to give. Laura says Nikolas can manipulate with the best of them. Is Martin sure he didn’t tell Nikolas where to find Florence? He says, of course (🍷) not. He has no idea where she is. She asks what Nikolas promised, and he says, to intercede with her on his behalf. Nikolas volunteered to mend fences between them. Martin knows how angry Laura is with him for his contribution to Julian’s escape, but please believe him, he had no idea Julian was responsible for what happened at The Floating Rib. Laura’s daughter is his niece, and now Lulu… He swears on his soul, if he knew about the death and destruction Julian created, he would never have helped. She says, despite the blackmail? and he says, for all the good it did him? Even though he gave into Julian’s blackmail, in a few short weeks, everyone knew Cyrus was his brother. And now he and Laura are on the opposite side of something, and any progress they’ve made as brother and sister seems to have vanished, which is exactly what Cyrus wanted. Cyrus is afraid he and Laura will end up on the same side, allied against him. When Cyrus walked in on Laura giving Martin a birthday cake, Cyrus’s instinct kicked in, and his bag of tricks. He exaggerated Martin’s guilt in the hope of obscuring his own. She tells him, don’t worry. No matter how disappointed she is in Martin, she’ll never forget that Cyrus gave the orders to plant the bomb in The Floating Rib. Cyrus approaches their table, and says Laura never ceases to amaze him. He didn’t think she and Martin would be on speaking terms after what she learned about him. Maybe there’s hope for him and Laura.

Brando says he didn’t know if he’d see Sasha again… in that way. Last night was all about… She says she’d just ended the relationship with Michael, and he thought she was on the rebound. He asks if she can blame him, and she says, not really. She and Michael were pretty serious, until they weren’t, but even when she still hoped she and Michael would pick up where they left off, Brando was always there. He says, stalking her? and she says she never minded. He says he figured that out when she didn’t call the cops, and she says, as much as she tried to ignore it, something was between them. He says, internal combustion, and she says he’s comparing her to a car; how romantic. Can she at least let her have an eight-cylinder engine with turbo charging? He says he’s been meaning to ask her how she knows so much about cars. She asks, why wouldn’t she? Did he think the face of Deception has no life beyond the glamorous shoots? He says he was hoping to hear more about it.

Nina tells Sonny that Eli doesn’t trust him either, and Sonny says, tell him something he doesn’t already know. She says, for the record, she’s not in the market for a new relationship, and he says, if she were… She says the perfect man has to make her fall in love with him, and then completely break her heart. He says she’s too hard on herself. She doesn’t deliberately choose these guys; she’s much better than they are. She says, is she? and he says didn’t she come there to get away from her bad choices. She’s way too smart not to know she’s in an unhealthy relationship is like. She says, is she? the thing is, it doesn’t stop her from missing the person she ran away from. Maybe she should just write the article and move on. He says, maybe, but when you move on, you take yourself with you. She says he doesn’t know who he is, does he? and he says, look what happened to him, and she says, what if he could get himself back?

Carly asks if Valentin and Anna have made any progress with Gladys, and Valentin says, Gladys is a shallow, selfish, greedy beggar with a huge interest in self-preservation, like Carly said. Anna says she’s sure Cyrus has put the fear of God in Gladys, and she knows if she changes her story, Cyrus will kill her. Valentin says, not to mention what Peter is capable of doing to her, and Carly asks what Peter has done now. Anna says,  nothing, but he insists on being in Maxie’s life, and had to be escorted out of the hospital. Carly is sure it’s a nightmare for Maxie, but thinks Peter is less of threat to Maxie than Cyrus is to all of them. The only thing that’s stopping him from burning Port Charles down is that she has Florence – for now. Anna asks what she means, and Carly says Cyrus tried to offer her a deal; Florence, in exchange for Gladys changing her story so Jason could go free. He didn’t seem disappointed or angry when she turned him down. It sounded like he had another deal in place.

Sonny asks what makes Nina think he can find out who he is? She says, no one is completely anonymous. If he really wants to uncover his past, he can reach out on social media. He says he’s not sure he wants to find out what happened to him before Nixon Falls, and she asks, why not? He says he likes it there. He likes the people and the pace. He likes the fact that the highlight of the season is a dance at the firehouse. Nina says, it sounds like a lot more fun than the Met Gala, and he asks, what’s that? She says, a ball where people dress up to impress each other and raise money for the Metropolitan Museum of Art. She admits it’s a worthy cause, and he says, it’s her world. She says she could show him pictures of her and her friends dressed up on the red carpet outside the museum, everyone smiling, but no one is actually happy. He says she seems happy there, and she says, he does too. He says, why go somewhere else to find happiness? I expect them to break out in a song from Oklahoma! any second.

Brando says, so Sasha had a summer job in high school? She says, working at a garage. It was mostly in the office, but she occasionally helped with repairs. She had spending money, and discovered she liked the work. He says he pictured her playing with Disney princess dolls, and she says she did that too, but she’s not a stereotype any more than he is. He’s Cyrus’s driver-slash-bodyguard; the one Cyrus keeps around to clean up his messes, but it’s just a front. He says, don’t go calling The Invader, and she tells him, don’t worry. She likes him better alive than dead. She admires his bravery; walking a tightrope to protect Carly and her family. He says he’s more like an idiot, and she says, you don’t win medals for being an idiot. She has to get going. She has a photo shoot, and grease on her face is not a good look for the face of Deception. He says he thinks she looks great, but he’s not being very objective. He wipes her face with a clean rag, and they almost kiss, but he says he almost forgot; her phone. He leaves to get it, and she smiles.

Cyrus sits at the table, and says, the three of them breaking bread. He asks Laura if this isn’t better than their petty squabbles. Maybe one day, his mother will join them. Laura says she thought Florence was happy where she is, and Martin says, she is. Wherever she is, mama makes the best of things. Cyrus says, she’ll be happier back in the loving arms of her family, and Laura asks what he’s planning. Cyrus says he gives her his word that he’s not planning anything. Mother’s fate, as she well knows, is out of his hands.

Ava tells Nikolas, don’t distract her, and he says, he’s distracting her? She says she’s concerned about his involvement with Cyrus. Why is he certain he can find Florence when Cyrus’s own people couldn’t? He says the man he was talking to is Colonel Jackson. He served in various hot spots around the globe. He’s retired from the military, and opened his own company. She says, a mercenary? and he says, security consultant. His people can be anywhere at a moment’s notice. They’re infiltrating the bakery to find out if hummingbird cakes or any other Southern desserts have been delivered to a nearby address. Ava asks what it’s costing Nikolas, but he says, it doesn’t matter. If he finds Florence, Alexis is safe. She says, one does not guarantee the other, and he says he can’t leave his aunt in Pentenville with no resources. He has to make sure she’s protected. She says she loves him for wanting to protect his aunt, but doesn’t think this is the way to do it. Think about Cyrus, look at his history. Think of all the people he’s betrayed, including her brother. If Nikolas thinks he can trust Cyrus to keep his word, he’s making a big mistake.

Carly tells Anna and Valentin, if Cyrus gets his mother back, they lose leverage. Gladys is going to keep following Cyrus’s orders, and lie to the cops. Peter stays free, and Jason stays in prison, at least until the trial. Anna says, that would be the case, and Carly says, then they have to put more pressure on Gladys. Valentin says he’s not kidnapping Gladys, and holding her in Anna’s basement, and Carly says, why not? It’s a start. Anna says, a coerced confession won’t hold up in court, and Carly says, Anna is worried about what’s legal now, after she covered for Peter for months? After Jason warned Anna, and told her to come forward? What is going on here? Where is the help Anna promised her? Is she going to get Jason out of prison? Anna says she understands Carly’s frustration, but Carly has to trust her. If Carly goes after Gladys, she’ll make Jason’s situation worse. Carly asks what Anna is telling her. Better luck next time? Jason is just going to rot in prison? Valentin tells her, that’s not what they said, but Carly says, that’s what it sounds like. They said they wanted to stop Peter from killing someone else, to stop insinuating himself into Maxie’s life. So what are they going to do about it? Anna says, nothing. And neither is Carly.

Alexis wonders what she did to get on Elda’s bad side; she just got here. Maggie says, Elda has no other side; it’s all bad. Did Alexis defend her and lose? Alexis says she’s never seen Elda before, and Maggie says maybe Elda was her mortal enemy in another life. She has to go back inside and prepare for her parole hearing. The tips Alexis gave her are really going to help. Alexis says she was told not to trust anyone there, but… Maggie says she gets it. It’s tougher without someone to talk to. She thought a smart woman like Alexis could have fancy-talked her way out of Pentenville. Alexis says she could have plead guilty and gone to trial, and Maggie asks why she didn’t. Alexis says it’s a long story, and Maggie says she’s got the time. She sits on a bench, and Alexis says, come to think of it, she does too, and sits next to her.

Ava says all Nikolas has done is give Cyrus an opening to threaten Alexis any time he wants something. It’s what Cyrus did to her brother. He threatened Julian’s family to get him to cooperate. It’s just a manipulation. Nikolas says, he’s not Julian. Nobody manipulates him. He needs to know they’re in this together. If one of them feels threatened, they have to set aside their doubts and questions, and come together. Isn’t that the kind of marriage they’ve created, despite the odds? She says he doesn’t play fair, and he says he’s not playing. He needs to know she’s with him. Today, tomorrow, always. She asks if he needs proof, and he says, always. They kiss, and he picks her up in his arms.

Gladys comes to the garage, and sees the tools around the car. She asks if Brando doesn’t have the morning off. Why is it always all work and no play with him? Sasha’s head pops up, and she says, it’s nice to see Gladys again. Gladys asks what Sasha is doing there, and I’m hoping they weren’t doing it under the car.

Laura says Cyrus might try to make his fingerprints invisible, but it’s clear to her that he’s pressuring someone else to find his mother. Someone who loves his Aunt Alexis very much, and wants her to be protected while she’s in prison. Martin says, Nikolas was concerned about his Aunt Alexis when they last spoke, and Laura says she thought Martin didn’t tell Nikolas anything. Martin says he didn’t. For the last time, there was nothing to tell. He doesn’t even know his mother’s current location. Cyrus says, don’t blame, Marty. They rarely agree, but they both want the best for their mother. Laura laughs, and says she doesn’t think so. Martin loves his mother for who she is, but Cyrus needs his mother to validate his life. She didn’t approve when Jason took Florence, but it was the only way to contain Cyrus’s violence and greed, and it worked. Since Jason’s had Florence, there have been no shootouts. Cyrus wants his mother back because he doesn’t want Jason to have that leverage over him. She say she’ll be damned if she’ll let Cyrus use her son to make it happen, and walks out.

Carly says, they expect her to do nothing. Why? What aren’t they telling her? Anna says, Peter took steps to protect himself. It’s probably his first step in his strategy for leaving Port Charles. Carly asks what the hell Peter has done, and Valentin says they can’t tell her that, but they’re working hard to fix the situation. Anna says, if Peter even gets a hint they’re working against him, someone innocent will die. Carly asks if this innocent person has a name, and Anna says Carly isn’t the only one who wants Jason free, or Peter to be brought to justice. If she goes for Gladys, she’s going to escalate an already dangerous situation. So can she take a deep breath, and let them handle Peter? Carly says she was only working with Anna because Jason wanted her to, but Jason is in prison, so she has to follow her instincts. If they can’t tell her why she should give them time, she can’t promise them she will. Anna says, then Peter won’t be the only one with blood on his hands. He can live with it. Can Carly?

Sonny tells Nina, he’ll throw in a danish if she tells him what’s on her mind. She says, what if she told him that she did something selfish that might hurt a lot of people? He says he wouldn’t believe her. He’s seen her with Lenny and Phyllis, and she’s not a selfish person. She says, she is, but the weird part is, she believes she’s doing the right thing, a good thing; not just for herself, but for someone who will never know. Sonny asks if it’s someone he knows, and she says, it’s someone who deserves to be happy. Someone who deserves a fresh start. She’s making sure they have both of them. He says, that’s a good thing, not a selfish thing. She says, that’s what she tells herself, and sometimes she even believes it.

Sasha says she was helping Brando fix the carburetor, and Gladys says Sasha would risk her manicure to help out at the shop? Brando comes out from the office, and says he charged Sasha’s phone; it was losing juice. He sees Gladys, and asks what she’s doing there. She says she just came to check on her boy. It sounds like he had an interesting evening.

Martin says, he was hoping he and Laura could find a way past what happened on his birthday, but once again, like the Angel of Death, it takes Cyrus one minute to ruin everything. Cyrus says, relax, Marty. As soon as mother comes back, Laura will get over her anger. Martin says, do him a favor. Let’s review, shall we? In one way or another Cyrus is responsible for putting Laura’s daughter in a coma. Now Cyrus is trying to coopt her son. In what universe would Laura look at Cyrus with anything other than loathing?

Walking into Perdino’s, Valentin says, how much does Anna want to bet that Carly doesn’t wait around long enough for them to take down Peter? She says she doesn’t want to take that risk, and they go inside. They see Cyrus and Martin, and Valentin asks if Anna wants to go to the MetroCourt. She says, no. She wants to say hello. She goes over to their table, and Valentin follows. She says Valentin has been telling her how helpful Martin has been in establishing parental rights for Brook’s baby. She doesn’t think she and Cyrus have been formally introduced, and says she’s Anna Devane, Peter’s aunt. Cyrus smiles.

Ava and Nikolas bask in the afterglow, and Nikolas says he needs Ava to believe that he’ll protect the ones he loves; his mother, Alexis, Spencer, especially her. Ava says, her whole life she had to protect herself, and he says she doesn’t have to anymore. He’s here for her, like she’s here for him. If he was in danger, wouldn’t she do everything in her power to save him? She says, in a heartbeat, and they get busy again.

On the phone, Carly tells Bobbie to put the guards on extra alert, and do it without scaring Florence… All right… She loves Bobbie too. The doorbell rings, and she says she has to go. Call her if there are any signs of trouble. She opens the door to Laura, who asks if something happened. There are more guards than usual. Carly says she’s just taking extra care. What did Laura want to see her about? Laura asks what it would take for Carly to surrender Florence, before someone gets hurt.

Cyrus says he’s pleased to finally make Anna’s acquaintance; her reputation precedes her. She tells him, don’t believe everything you hear, Mr. Renault. He tells her to call him Cyrus, if he may call her Anna, and she says, of course (🍷). Cyrus says he hears congratulations are in order. Valentin is going to be a new father again. Valentin says, how about that? Cyrus’s brother takes care of a lot of his interests, and will tell Cyrus that family means a lot to him. Cyrus says, as it does to all of them. Anna tells Valentin that she’s suddenly famished, and they go to their table. Martin asks, what the hell was that? All the pointed looks going back and forth, the least Cyrus could do for his brother is shout duck. Cyrus says, just marking their territory.

Valentin asks if Anna would like to explain that interaction, and she says, sometimes you just have to look your enemy in the eye to figure out your next move. He asks if she has, and she says, most definitely.

Carly asks if Laura has noticed that Port Charles has been fairly calm since Florence started her extended stay with friends, but Laura says, it’s not going to stay that way. Carly knows that already. Carly asks why Laura is saying that, and Laura says she was just talking to her brothers. Since they’re all family now, they feel free to share with her whatever is on their dysfunctional little minds. Carly says, which is? and Laura says, Martin was way too eager to make her believe he’d kept Florence’s location a secret, and Cyrus was too self-assured, even for him. Carly asks if he knows where Florence is, and Laura says she doesn’t think so – not yet – but she thinks Nikolas does.

On the phone, Nikolas asks if they found the find bakery… Excellent. Did they have subsequent orders for Southern desserts?… Bobbie Spencer? She’s the mother of one of the parties involved in Florence’s kidnapping. Does he have an address?… Terrific work, Colonel, thank you. When they arrive at the address, he wants them to establish a parameter, reconnoiter the area, but don’t make a move until he gets there. Understood?  Ava asks if Nikolas found her, and he says he’ll know soon enough. Ava asks why not order Colonel Jackson to take Florence the moment he finds her. Is Nikolas having second thoughts? He asks if he hasn’t convinced her to change her mind, to understand why he’s doing this, and she says, if she tells him that he hasn’t, will he call it off? He says, no, but he’d rather do this with her than without her.

An inmate suddenly plops between Alexis and Maggie, and they get up. Alexis says, it was the combination of a lot of booze and a lot of bad decisions that got her into this lovely location. Maggie says, and a few bad men? and Alexis says, one or two contributed. In the end, it was on her. Maggie says Alexis obviously knows how the parole board thinks. They want to hear inmates take responsibility for their actions, basically saying what they did was wrong, but they learned their lesson. Alexis says, it will be a while before she sees a parole board. What’s crazy is, she chose to plead guilty because she wanted to be accountable for the things she’d done. Not just for other people, but for herself. As naïve and insane as it sounds, after three years, she wants to walk out of this place a better woman. Elda approaches them, and tells Maggie, take a hike. Alexis says, it’s okay. Three’s a crowd. Maggie leaves, and the guard leaves with her. Alexis and Elda face each other.

Nina tells Sonny, thanks, but she’s going to the library to research the early days of Nixon Falls for the article. He says, since they’re both going to the firehouse dance, they should go together. Nina says she’d love to go with him, but Eli already asked her, and she said she’d go with him. He says he’s not surprised Eli beat him to it, and she says she’ll save him a dance. He says there are things she doesn’t know about Eli, and she says there are things Mike/Sonny doesn’t know about himself, and there are things he doesn’t know about her. He says, true, and she asks if he’s trying to tell her something. He says, will she save that dance? and she promises she will.

Sasha thanks Brando for finding her phone, and Gladys tells her, next time, be more careful. She goes to the other side of the room, and Brando says, but not too careful. You might miss out on something good. He apologizes for his mom, but Sasha says, in her own way, Gladys is just trying to look out for him. She has to run, and he asks, who’s looking out for her? She says, she thought he was, calling him Mr. Stalker. He says, so his stalking is welcome now, and she says, maybe because she’ll also be stalking him. Unfortunately, I can see the Twitter reaction now being right up there with Baby, It’s Cold Outside. <heaving a heavy sigh over people being offended too easily and in any context>

Anna tells Valentin, it wasn’t until she was face to face with Cyrus, that she realized they weren’t entirely powerless. He asks if she wants to share what’s on her mind, and she says, poisoning an innocent, and holding on to the antidote for ransom is classic Faison (ha-ha! Faison Classic). It’s appalling, but not surprising that his son would follow his example. What Peter doesn’t realize is, the same tactics that brought down Faison, can bring him down too.

Martin says if Cyrus is grimacing at Anna, he advises him to stop. Cyrus says he’s smiling, and Martin says, Valentin is very protective of Anna, and he’s also very dangerous. Not in the hairy back, knuckle-dragging, let’s-break-their-knees way, familiar to the garden variety simians Cyrus employs. The last place Cyrus wants to be is on Valentin’s bad side. Cyrus says he’s counting on Martin to keep the peace between him and his client. As to Anna, what does Martin know about her? Martin says, he’s an attorney, not one of Peter’s muck-raking journalists, and Cyrus asks if Martin doesn’t find it fascinating. First, Anna was Peter’s mother; now she’s his aunt, and they’re not good terms. Apparently a lot of dirty laundry was spilled at the wedding that didn’t happen. It might prove useful as leverage. Martin says, to who? Against who [sic]? Cyrus’s new friend Peter? Why does he care about the man anyway? Cyrus says he doesn’t. Peter is merely a means to an end. And if it goes well, the end may soon be in sight.

Carly tells Laura, now it makes sense. Now she knows why Cyrus wasn’t upset when she rejected his offer to trade Florence for Jason’s freedom. He already had a plan in place with Nikolas. Laura says, she’s right then. Martin let something slip to Nikolas, so Cyrus is getting his mother back, but through her son. Carly asks if Nikolas doesn’t know he’s walking into a trap. Cyrus has all the power. This is what he does; creates danger, then offers to erase it. Laura says, and before you know it, he owns you, and Carly says, he did the same thing to Julian, and Nikolas is married to Julian’s sister. Can’t Nikolas see where this is headed? Laura says she’s not defending Nikolas, but Carly has taken risks to protect the people she loves. Carly says she knows; they both have. Even if Cyrus keeps his word, and protects Alexis in Pentenville, that’s great for Alexis, but it leaves Jason in an even worse position. Laura says, and it gets Nikolas in even deeper with Cyrus. Carly asks how they stop Nikolas.

Nikolas talks to the Colonel again, and asks if he can overcome the Corinthos guards. Ava tells Nikolas, whatever he decides, she’s with him. He tells the Colonel to wait for his signal.

Alexis tells Elda, crazy weather, huh? Elda asks who Alexis is calling crazy, and pins Alexis against the wall.

On Monday, Curtis asks how bad someone wants to find out, Cyrus wants Martin to celebrate with him, Anna visits Jason, and Elda says she’s going to make sure Alexis remembers. And I don’t think Elda means her birthday.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Yesterday, I went into the future and recapped the episode that was aired in most places today. Magic! However, it’s my understanding that it was again preempted in some areas today. There are no words, except to say, if you missed it altogether, you can catch up here:

Hopefully, Friday’s episode will be on Friday, but who knows what’s going to happen in this topsy-turvy world we now live in, where low-rated hearings are forced on us and Franco is a nobody. Or is it Drew?

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Scotty finds Ava in the interrogation room. She asks what he’s doing there, and he says he heard she got arrested on the police scanner. She’s not walking into the arraignment alone. He’s there; let him help her. She says if he wants to help, bring her confirmation that she killed Ryan.

Jordan stirs, and Curtis says he doesn’t know how she does it; waking up looking beautiful every day. She calls him a liar, and he says, facts. She starts to sit up, and he tells her, be careful. He’ll get a nurse. She says, talk to her. What happened? He asks what she remembers. She says he came back from Canada. Did he find Ryan?

On the phone, Monica finds out Ryan is still in surgery. Drew approaches, and she asks how he’s doing. He says that’s kind of why he’s there. He has some things to take care of before he and Kim leave town. She says, they’re going away together?

Julian gives Kim some paperwork, and says they should have no problem going through customs. Kim thanks him, and he says he knows how much the trip means to her. He hopes it brings her peace. She does too. He hugs her, and says he wishes he could make it easier. She says he is. She knows Oscar would want her to do this. She goes into the bedroom to get her passport, and Julian calls Alexis. He thanks her for the expedited paperwork. Kim needs to bring Oscar’s ashes to Mount Kilimanjaro. He never thought things could move that fast. She’s glad she can help, and he says he owes her already for getting him out of jail. She says he should thank Doc for dropping the charges. He wishes all of his problems were that easily solved. Kim comes back, and he says he was thanking Alexis for greasing the wheels. She says, he got arrested?

Sam and Jason look into Shiloh’s room. Jason asks how she’s feeling, and Sam says, like a huge weight has been lifted. It’s one of the hardest cons she’s ever had to run. She hated pretending to believe what Shiloh said; it was disgusting. Jason says he’ll see if Monica can get a rush on the toxicology report.

Neil visits Alexis. He tells her that he’s anxious to see how the plan to neutralize Shiloh panned out. Alexis says, apparently, he drugged Sam, who was kept for observation, but she’ll be okay. He’s glad about that, but wonders how did the plan work?

Sam sits on Shiloh’s bed. He says, please tell him that Jason failed, and adds, no matter how hard Jason tries, he can’t keep them apart.

Ava asks if Ryan is dead or not, but Scotty doesn’t know. She says she lives in hope. What happened is justice; a knife in Ryan’s back. Her only regret is that she didn’t twist it. Scotty says she can think that, but don’t say it. If he does, she could face a murder rap. She says he makes it sound like she’s done something to be ashamed of. She avenged her daughter’s death. Scotty says she can call it revenge or justice, but she’s pleading not guilty.

Jordan tells Curtis that she needs to know. He tells her, relax. Ava used herself as bait, luring Ryan to a remote cabin, where he caught up with her. Chase took Ryan into custody, and Ava stabbed him in the back while he was handcuffed. He’s in surgery. Jordan wonders if he’ll make it, but Curtis doesn’t know. She says she can’t blame Ava. Badge or no badge, she’d want the same thing. Curtis says they need Ryan to live. She asks what he isn’t he telling her.

Drew tells Monica that he and Kim are leaving for Tanzania. They’re taking Oscar’s ashes to Mont Kilimanjaro, since Oscar never made the trip. He wanted her blessing, since the Quartermaines are usually buried in the crypt. She says, not this time. She thinks Kilimanjaro is perfect for Oscar, but if they don’t mind, she’d like to put Oscar’s plaque in with the rest of the family. Drew thinks Oscar would like that. He loved being part of the family. He had a special spirit. Monica says he got it naturally from his father. Drew doesn’t know about that, but appreciates her saying it. Jason approaches, saying he doesn’t want to interrupt. Drew says it’s not an interruption. They’re family, right?

Alexis tells Neil that they need proof Shiloh drugged Sam. Then they can force him to return Kristina’s Pledge. Neil thinks maybe that will cancel some of Kristina’s self-criticism and self-blame, but she still has a long way to go. Alexis appreciates his help, and he says he’s still her therapist; she’s still his priority. Alexis says she’s not sure she’s the one with the problem. Kristina appears, and says, that would be her.

Shiloh tells Sam that Jason can’t hurt them now. His heart is full that she still believes, and is listening to her inner voice. She says he’s so in love with himself. He’s the one in love with his inner voice.  He asks what she’s saying, and she says, game over, Shiloh, Hank, David, or whatever he’s calling himself. You lose.

Ava asks Scotty what difference it makes, as long as the bastard who killed her daughter is dead. He says a first year law student could handle her case. She has to plead temporary insanity. Ava says if the DA says it was premeditated, she’d be right. Ava had every intention of killing Ryan. It didn’t play out the way she’d planned, but hopefully, she got the job done. He says, how about this? She matters to him. She might have given up on herself, but he hasn’t.

Julian tells Kim it was no big deal; one night in lockup. He was defending his sister’s honor, and slugged Doc, but he dropped the charges. Kim heard him say there were other problems. What else isn’t he telling her? He says he’s a big boy; he can take care of himself. She knows he can, but she wants to know if he needs her. Is he in trouble? His phone rings. He says, it’s Scotty, and might be about Ava. Scotty asks where he is. Didn’t he hear the news Ava was arrested? She’s at the PCPD, and needs him now. Julian tells Kim that he has to go. Ava’s been arrested. She says she’s coming with him, but he says she has a plane to catch. When she comes back, he’ll be there and waiting for her. She says he’d better be, and they kiss.

Curtis tells Jordan, something else happened. She says she was relieved to hear he was okay. Her heart was beating hard, and she couldn’t catch her breath. He says she had a cardiac episode, and she asks if he means a heart attack. He says, everything is under control, and she tells him, just say it. He says the dialysis put a strain on her heart. If she continues it, her heart will be compromised.

Jason asks if Drew wants him to do anything while he’s gone. Drew says, maybe one thing. He can get a head start on the plans for the treehouse. Monica says Oscar expected them to build it together, and Jason says he’ll order the supplies, and they can start when Drew gets back. They shake hands, and Drew leaves. Monica says she didn’t want to worry Drew any further, but how’s Sam. Jason says, she’s clear to go home, but they need her to expedite the toxicology report. They need proof Shiloh drugged Sam.

Alexis says it doesn’t look like Kristina got much sleep, and Kristina says she had a rough night. She knows Sam just got involved with DOD because of her. Neil says Kristina’s concern is admirable, and shows that Shiloh no longer has a hold over her, but Kristina says, he does. There’s something about DOD she didn’t tell them.

Sam puts her finger in Shiloh’s face, and says she’s so sick of listening to his voice. I’m dying laughing, he’s so surprised. She ask if he knows how hard it was to listen to his self-serving garbage. He says all he was trying to do was help her, and Jason threw him down the stairs. That’s attempted murder. She says, is it? Does he have a witness? She answers her own question, saying, no, he doesn’t. Because he abducted her, and they were alone in the tower. She was too drugged up to resist. He says she willingly drank the tea, and committed to the ceremony. She willing signed the Pledge. She says, please. The Pledge was as bogus as his book. What did Molly call it? Cliché and derivative. Jason walks in, and Sam asks if he has it. He says he sure does. The toxicology report says Sam was drugged. He says she drank the tea willingly, but Jason tells him, the recording says different. Shiloh says he didn’t consent to being recorded, but Sam says she did, and in the state of New York, that’s all they need. Jason says, assault, attempted rape; who knows what else they’ll find when they start investigating? Shiloh is going to prison for a long time.

Julian meets Scotty at the station, and asks, what the hell happened? Scotty says Ryan tried to resurrect himself, and Ava tried to put an end to him once and for all, allegedly sticking a knife in his back while he was handcuffed. Julian says, good for her, but Scotty says she’s pleading guilty. He wants her to plead temporary insanity, but she won’t budge. He wants Julian to talk to her.

Ava tells Kiki that she’ll be able to rest. Her killer is going to pay. Julian comes in, and Ava says Scotty must have called him. Julian has to hand it to her. She had him fooled. Nice work. She fooled him into thinking she was in love with Doc. She asks if Ryan is dead. He doesn’t know for sure, but he’s guessing no. He tells her that she can’t plead guilty. She asks, why? She set out to avenge her daughter, and it’s what she did. She’s not hiding it; she’s proud of it.

Josslyn visits Kim, saying she got Kim’s message. It’s weird. They were together practically 24/7 before Oscar passed away, and now Josslyn hasn’t seen her since. Kim says she couldn’t face the Nurses Ball, and Josslyn says she almost didn’t go herself. Cameron brought her a message from Oscar, a video he’d pre-recorded. He said he wanted her to live her life, starting at the Nurses Ball by singing. Kim can only imagine how hard it was. Josslyn says she knows it sounds weird, but when she thought she couldn’t do it, Oscar was there. She saw him, and didn’t want to let him down, so she sang. Kim says, it’s not weird. She’s sure Oscar was there. He loved music, and he loved her, which is why she and Drew are sure he’d want her to have this. He hands her Oscar’s guitar.

Curtis tells Jordan that they’ll get through this. Jordan says the kidney transplant isn’t a quality of life issue anymore; it’s life or death. She knows why he wants Ryan alive. Doc is a match, and Ryan is his twin. Curtis says if Ryan lives, he’ll convince him to donate. She asks, if he dies? and Curtis says he’s going to save her. He doesn’t care what it costs, or what favors he has to call in. Wherever he has to go, he’ll go there. She says don’t make her arrest him. He says as ruthless as Ryan was, he’s that in love. He’s going to find a way to give her the second chance at life she deserves.

Alexis tells Kristina, there’s no point reliving nightmare, but she wants to say it while she has the courage. It’s not what Shiloh did, it’s what she did before joining the Trust. He wanted her to make an offering; a secret that was deep and important. Alexis asks if she means the Pledge. Kristina asks if Alexis knows what she gave Shiloh, and Alexis says, not unless she wants to tell.

Shiloh tells Jason and Sam that Sonny threatened him. Jason says, Sonny doesn’t make threats. Sam says Shiloh has no idea how hard she had to work to convince Sonny to let her deal with him herself. Kristina is her sister, but Sonny is an overprotective father. She wouldn’t be surprised if Sonny did deal with Shiloh himself. Not now; there’s too much scrutiny. Jason says when he’s sent to Pentonville, when everyone has forgotten about him, accidents happen. Shiloh asks what they want. Jason says, Kristina’s Pledge. Give it to them or they give him up to the cops.

Ava thinks she should get a medal for stabbing Ryan. The DA agreed to call off the search, giving a serial killer a free pass. Ava never believed he was dead, and she out-manipulated him. The only reason she didn’t pull the trigger, was because Curtis said Kiki would want her to help save Jordan, and he was right. Kiki was too generous for her own good, but Ava knows better. The only way to get justice in this world is to take it. Scotty says Curtis can testify to her state of mind. If she flushes her life down the drain, Ryan wins. Is that what she wants?

Josslyn tells Kim that’s she’ll have to see if she remembers what Oscar taught her. Drew arrives, and asks if Kim is ready. He tells Josslyn the guitar looks good on her. Kim tells him that she wanted Josslyn to have before they left. Josslyn asks where they’re going, and Kim says they’re taking a trip. Drew says they’re going to make Oscar’s trip to Mount Kilimanjaro. Kim adds, to say goodbye to their son.

Monica joins Curtis is Jordan’s room. He says he was just explaining about getting a new kidney. Monica says, that’s the plan. Does Jordan have any questions? Jordan asks if Ryan is out of surgery, and Monica says, stand down, commissioner. She just had a serious episode, and can’t afford any strain on her heart. She tells Jordan to take a leave of absence. Let someone else do the job. She helped save Port Charles from a monster. The least they can do is help give her back her life.

Kristina says when Shiloh told her that he wanted something important and personal, she thought about when she tried to blackmail Parker, but he didn’t want that. He wanted… Neil says, something more useful that he could cash in later. Kristina says she was too stupid to see it, and Alexis says she was betrayed by someone she trusted. Kristina says, now they’re all going to pay the price, and Alexis asks what she told him. Kristina says, something about her family.

Shiloh asks if this is over if he gives them the Pledge. Jason says, it’s already over. He’s never going to bother Kristina again. It’s up to him if he walks away or not. Shiloh says He’ll cooperate, and Jason asks where the Pledges are. Shiloh says in the place where Jason almost killed him.

Ava tells Julian she lured Ryan to her cabin with every intention of killing him, and stabbed him in the back in front of police witnesses, but she was never more sane or sure of anything. How can she get around that? Julian says they can deal with the questions, but he can’t deal with her giving up. She needs to keep her mouth shut, and do what Scotty says. She calls Scotty her knight in shining armor. Julian says if she wants revenge, she needs to plead not guilty. If Ryan ends up in Ferncliff while she goes to prison, she won’t be able to finish what she started.

Josslyn says, Oscar talked a lot about Kilimanjaro, especially after he got sick. Oscar would want them to take him there. He wouldn’t want to be in an urn in a vault, but under the stars. If he knew they were doing it together, it would make him even happier. Drew asks if she wants a ride, but she thinks she’ll stop by the park. She’s going to Oscar’s Meadow, and see if she remembers the chords he taught her. She thanks Kim, and hugs her. Drew hopes she thinks about Oscar when she plays, and she says she’s always thinking of him. She hugs Drew, and tells them to take lots of pictures. She leaves, and Kim says Josslyn has been through so much, and stays so strong. Drew says, she’s not the only one.

Monica checks Jordan’s vitals, and says her blood pressure is elevated, and she has a low grade fever. The sooner they find a kidney, the better. Curtis says they need Ryan to make it through surgery. Monica says she’ll check on him. Jordan thanks her, and Monica says again, they owe her. She leaves, and Jordan doesn’t know what’s worse; her heart nearly stopping or agreeing to a leave of absence. Curtis says she’ll be back to fighting for truth and justice in no time. Until then just get better. Let him pamper her; he’ll fluff her pillow, spoon feed her rocky road ice cream, whatever she needs. She says she has everything she needs right there, and he kisses her.

Alexis tells Kristina, don’t worry. Whatever she said, they’ll deal with it. Neil thinks it’s a family matter, and it’s best to keep it that way. Kristina thanks him for his help, and he says, there’s more where that came from. He’s just a phone call away. When he’s gone, Alexis says Kristina is very brave to come forward. Whatever secret she told, her father will take care of it. Kristina says, it’s not about him.

Sam and Jason go to the tower. Sam looks sick, and remembers Shiloh starting to get undressed, and saying they were destined to know each other on every level. It starts tonight. Jason tells her that she can wait downstairs, but she says she’ll be okay. She thought she could fight him off, but she couldn’t. She was thinking, poor Kristina; she would have been alone. Jason says Sam would have been looking out for her. They start looking for the Pledges.

Kim says she promised not to cry on Drew’s shoulder anymore, and he asks what else is he good for? She says he needs his strength to climb the mountain, and more when he gets to the top. He says that’s why they’re doing it together. Kim says they have a plane to catch, and he says, they do. Let’s go. They head out.

Ava tells Julian it never occurred to her that Ryan might live. He would just end up back in Ferncliff or some other institution. Julian says, and Kiki’s murder goes unavenged. Scotty returns, saying he spoke to the judge. Ava is going to be arraigned this afternoon. He hopes Julian convinced her to fight. Ava tells him, don’t just stand there looking good. Start earning your fee.

Curtis says he and Jordan never got their honeymoon in Fiji. They could start looking at hotels. Sun and sand will do them some good. Monica tells them that Ryan is out of surgery, and Curtis asks if he’s going to make it. She says, it’s too early tell. Jordan wonders why Ryan would consent to give her a kidney.

Alexis says Shiloh needed leverage to use against Kristina or someone she loves. Kristina says she’s so sorry. Alexis says, if the secret isn’t about Kristina’s father… it’s about her.

Jason opens a desk drawer, and says, found it.. Sam asks how they know those are real, and Jason says they’ll have to open one. He picks up Margaux’s envelope. Good choice! He opens it, and looks at Sam, saying, it looks real to him. Sam looks through the envelopes and finds Kristina’s. She says, that’s it. Shiloh is finally finished. Jason says, not yet, but they’re close.

Tomorrow, Sasha tells Nina that she loves it there, Alexis asks Kristina what’s in the Pledge, Maxie doesn’t believe it, and Jason tells Sonny he has leverage against the DA.

The Haves and the Have Nots

Madison keeps trying to call David, but gets voicemail. He asks his co-worker Tisha (I got a name!) if she’s sure it’s him, and she says, it’s the same address. He thinks David is probably out on Valium. He says he told Jeffrey not to go over there. He tries the radio, and Tisha makes a call. Madison thinks it’s David, but she’s gotten Veronica, who’s just pulling into her driveway. Madison says he thinks Jeffrey has been hurt, and to come to the hospital. She says, who is this? and he realizes he’s not talking to David. He says, it’s Madison, and Veronica asks, what happened? He says, just come. Veronica drives back out.

Madison asks why Tisha called Jeffrey’s mother. She says, it’s on his records, and she’s his mother. He says Tisha doesn’t know her. David calls back, and Madison says he needs to come to the hospital. It’s Jeffrey. David asks, what’s wrong? and Madison says he just needs to come. David is like, damn, and jets.

Veronica gets there first. Tisha tells her the ambulance isn’t there yet; she’s still waiting to hear. Veronica says Tisha called her. What the hell happened? Madison comes out, and says, a shooting. They got a call from the address that there were two gunshot wounds to the head. David arrives, and Madison says, there are two gunshot wounds to the head coming in. Davis asks if Jeffrey has been shot, but Madison doesn’t know. David asks why he called, and Madison says, it’s his address; Spanish Moss Trail. Veronica says, whose address that is. Is it that boy? David says, yes. She says she told him to get that boy in line. David asks if Madison has called the ambulance. Madison says he’s been trying, but he’s not getting a response. They must be working on him. David says he should have made Jeffrey leave, and Veronica asks if Jeffrey was with that homosexual girl. Tisha gets a call, and says, it’s not two; it’s one wound, but she doesn’t know which one of them it is. It doesn’t look good. She says she’s sorry. A gurney is quickly wheeled past, and Veronica yells for Jeffrey. David says he’ll kill that son of a bitch.

Meanwhile, at the Iron Bone (I just like saying that), Mitch sees a cousin/uncle/thug/whatever, and says, look who’s up early drinking beer. Dude says, it’s the breakfast of champions. Funny. I thought that was a Hall’s cough drop, coffee, and a cigarette. Mitch asks where Uncle Vinnie is. He’s going to meet with Cryer. Dude says, the guy who stabbed Uncle Vinnie? but Mitch says, his father. Dude suggests he get Vinnie’s $50K, and while he’s at it, he heard Vinnie talking about that Black kid. He wants his money. Mitch says Benny is working on it, and dude wonders how the hell Benny has $8 million, and can’t pay back the family. Mitch asks if he’s stupid, and dude says, what’s stupid is Benny not paying what he owed. Uncle Vinnie was drunk last night, and talking crazy. Mitch says he’ll be back later with the money, and dude says he’d better be.

Madison tells David and Veronica, still no word on the surgery. Veronica asks, what kind of hospital is this? and David says, stay calm. She says she told him, but he doesn’t need to hear that. She asks what the address is, and he says, Spanish Moss Trail, apartment number seven; why? She wants to see what happened, and make sure the DA gets all the evidence. She’s going to put that bastard homosexual away for life. David says their son is in surgery, and may not make it. She says, Jeffrey will make it. He’s a fighter like his momma. She’s a survivor, not like him, letting Jeffrey go be with those people. They’re wicked. Doesn’t he get it? They’re evil. Destruction follows them everywhere. Does he know how many are on crystal meth? Disease and death follows them, and it’s what he allowed for their child. They’re sodomites, and he allowed it. He did that, and now look at this. This is war, and it’s all his fault. She tried to tell him. If Jeffrey doesn’t make it, she promises… A crying Madison approaches them, and says he’s sorry. Jeffrey didn’t make it. Just as I’m thinking, hmm… we didn’t actually see him, Madison says he was told the African American guy didn’t make it. Veronica asks, why do you people lie so much? You lie about everything. Lying is in your DNA. He even lies about something this serious. The smell on him disgusts her. She comes close to him, and sniffs. She says he smells like a lie. Why is he crying? Don’t cry over her boy; he’s not dead. She grabs Madison’s face, and says, liar. She walks out. David asks where he is. Madison calls the doctor, and David cries.

Wyatt pretends to be Jim, and calls through to Kathryn’s car.

In Kathryn’s car, impressing his friends, RK tells them he’s changed things. He’s different; he’s better. He’s got them. The phone rings, startling him. Wyatt tells him, get his ass over there. RK says his guy wasn’t around, and he had to wait until morning. Wyatt had better have the money. Wyatt says RK better be on his way. If he isn’t, Jim is going to report the car stolen, and RK will get caught with his stuff. RK says just make sure he has the damn money. He’s on his way. He says, you can call the car. It’s like a spaceship

Jim sees Kathryn sleeping, and slams the door. He says, hungover? and she says, yes, you ass. He says, good. Is he talking too LOUD? She says, like he’s never been hungover. He says the child who brought her home stole her car. She asks, what child? and he says she doesn’t remember? She says, who cares? and he says her car is gone. He stole it. She says she’ll get another one, but Jim says not before he puts the kid’s ass in jail. She says, the kid from the bar? He says she’s stupid when it comes to money, but she disagrees. That’s why she has a lot, and he’s done. He has none. The stupidest thing she ever did was marry him. He says that was the smartest thing. He keeps her in money. It’s his brand that kept her rich. She gave Hanna $8 million; is that smart? Kathryn says, she’ll give it back, and tells him, don’t go near Hanna’s son; she means it. He tells her, take a shower. She smells like a daycare. She suggests he take a hike off a cliff. In a really odd moment, he helps her up, and fixes the covers. Force of habit?

Wyatt tells Jim that someone is coming up the driveway. Jim says, he’s a Malone. Mitch rings the bell, and Jim comes out. Mitch introduces himself, saying, he came to negotiate a truce. Money for his son. Wyatt did a lot of damage, and the family is pissed. He’s there to keep the peace. Jim says he has no idea what Mitch is talking about, and Mitch asks if that’s a game Jim wants to play. Jim asks how he knows it was Wyatt, and Mitch says he found the receipt with Wyatt’s name on it. Jim asks what he wants, and Mitch says, $75K. Jim asks if that’s how much the drugs were worth that Wyatt bought, and Mitch says, it’s not about what Wyatt bought. It’s about him buying peace. Jim thinks it’s unreasonable, but Mitch says he doesn’t. Especially if his grandma found out his son put hers in the hospital. Jim has to agree, and Mitch says he’ll wait. He’s not going anywhere until he gets it. Jim says he’ll write a check, but Mitch says, the family doesn’t do checks. Cash only. Jim says he’ll bring it to the bar in the morning. Mitch says his uncle is pretty pissed. He suggests Jim give to him. Jim says, if he does this, his son will be left alone. Mitch says, yeah, but Jim has a question. It’s usually blood for blood. What’s different? Mitch says Jim has him in the middle. He doesn’t need this war. Jim says, all right.

Wyatt asks what Mitch said, and Jim asks how much he spent buying drugs from them. Wyatt asks how much Jim stole from him. Jim has half a mind to let them have Wyatt’s sorry ass. Wyatt says it would be better than being stuck there. Jim says the Malones aren’t playing games; they’ll kill Wyatt. It’s serious business. Wyatt says if Jim hadn’t taken his money, he wouldn’t be in this situation. Jim wonders how he raised such a fool, and Wyatt says Jim’s a fool for taking his money. Jim says he did it for Wyatt’s own good. Every time Wyatt does damage, and Jim digs out of the pile of sh*t, Wyatt makes another one for him to climb into. Wyatt tells Jim, go to hell. Jim says, he might, but Wyatt’s ass better be happy in his room. If the Malones get to it before they get their money, he won’t have an ass left. Jim asks, is this what happens when you get a participation award? Ha-ha! Everyone is cracking me up tonight.

Scott hunts down Roderick at the Artisian. He says he’s with the Attorney General’s office. Roderick asks what he can do for him, and Scott says he can start be not looking nervous. Does he have something to hide? Roderick says, no, and Scott shows him a picture of Candace, asking if he knows her. Roderick says, no, and Scott asks if he mentioned he was an FBI agent; top of his class. Roderick says, good for him. Scott says he rose to the top quickly, and knows Roderick is lying. He’ll ask again; does he know her? Roderick says, no, he doesn’t, and Scott says he wants to make it hard. Okay. He makes a call, asking about Roderick’s real name. Roderick asks what he’s doing, and Scott says, calling Homeland Security. Roderick gets super nervous, and says he remembers; he knows her. Scott hangs up. Roderick asks if he’s getting deported, but Scott says that depends on how much help he’s going to be. They’ve got cameras all around. They can start with surveillance. Where’s security? Roderick leads the way.

Candace asks what Charles is what up to today, and he says, what else? They’re packing up and moving. He’d love for her to see it. She’s excited that she gets to see his house. A house tells a lot about a person. He laughs, and looks out the window. She asks if it’s something interesting, and he says, yeah. America. She calls him Mr. President Elect, and he says she likes the sound of that. She says she likes the sound of him, especially right before that moment. He purrs. He says, no, he doesn’t, and she says, like a kitten. He says he roars like a lion, and she says, a baby lion. Hakuna Matata. There’s a knock at door. A guy who isn’t Landon says he needs to talk to Charles in private, and Candace goes to her adjoining room.

Not-Landon tells Charles, Lisa from the Times is doing a story on Candace, and it’s not a good one. Landon flew NYC to see if he can get the story killed, but he thinks it’s still going to go. Candace blackmailed and damaged several high profile. Her cover was blown when they saw her on TV. Charles says, Landon will take care of it, but not-Landon doesn’t think so. He knows Lisa, and there’s this guy. He shows Charles a picture of the AG, and says, he’s already spoken to the President. They think he’s the one making trouble, and they need to get Candace out of there. Charles asks how long they have, and not-Landon says, it depends on Landon, but he’s pretty sure there’s nothing Landon can do. Charles says, it’s his job, but not-Landon says if they don’t handle this now, it could get messy and nasty. Charles hears him, but doesn’t want Candace to go. Not-Landon knows he likes her, but she’s trouble for him, and them. They need to distance themselves from her. Charles wants her to come. If not-Landon hears from Landon, let him know.

Candace comes back, and asks if everything is okay. He says, just Presidential stuff. She asks what it’s like in the White House. Is there someone to teach you protocol? He says, yeah, and she says she has so many questions. He has to shower, and she offers to join him, but he says, no. He needs a moment.

Candace’s phone rings. It’s Benny. He asks if she’s all right. He saw the news. Is she with him? She says she thinks so, and Benny asks if they’re dating? She says, that’s what it looks like. He tells her, be careful, and she asks, why? He says because he’s her annoying kid brother, and he always has to look out for her. That’s why. She asks if Hanna saw, and what she said. Benny tells her, not much. She’s been acting funny lately. It has something to do with that dude she’s seeing. He says he’ll find out. He asks if Charles knows about everything, and she says he does. Hanna comes down, and there’s a three-way hello. Benny says he’ll call Candace back later.

Benny asks if Hanna is making breakfast, but she says they’ll pick something up on the way to the bank. They’re giving the money back. Benny says he needs to pay Mitch’s family. She says she knows that. She talked to Kathryn, who’s going to give her a loan off of the interest so Benny can pay them. And he’s going to help her pay Kathryn back. She tells him, don’t borrow from people like that no more, and he promises he won’t. The doorbell rings, and Benny says he’ll get it, but Hanna says, don’t. He asks if it’s that dude, and she says she doesn’t want talk to him. Benny says he’s been blowing up her phone all day. What did he do? Hanna says, let it go. Benny says he’ll break Derrick’s neck, but Hanna tells him to tend to his own wounds right now. Derrick just isn’t the man she thought he was. Benny says he told her there was something he didn’t like; he knew it. She says, let it go. Benny wants to know what Derrick did, but she tells him, get dressed. The bell rings again

Tisha tells Madison that she’s sorry. He asks if she’s sure the one who died was African American. She is, and he says, the one they took to the ER? She says, he’s not. They need a relative to ID the body, and Madison says he’ll talk to David. Tisha asks if he’s okay, and he says, no. She tells him again, she’s sorry. Madison tells David they need him to identify the body. David cries. Madison says he is so sorry, and David says take him to his son. Why didn’t we see either one of them though? I’m still thinking there could be a mix-up here.

Scott goes through security footage. He sees Candace follow a guy to his room. Scott says he’ll be taking all the footage, but Roderick says he can’t let him. He needs to call the owner. Scott tells him to do what he feels. He tells the security guy to leave, and asks Roderick what’s going on? A girl pays him, and he gives her money later. It’s happening night after night. Roderick thought he was looking for Candace, but Scott says he’s looking for everything. He wants to know what’s going on – now. Roderick asks if he needs a lawyer. Scott says Roderick needs to tell him what’s going on, or he’s going to be arrested. Spit it out. Roderick wants to call the owner, but Scott says he’ll take Roderick along with the evidence. He asks who the leader of the ring is, and Roderick says, not him. Scott asks if it’s the owner, but he says she’s not aware of it. Scott asks who she is, and Roderick says, Kathryn Cryer is the main owner. There’s a board, but she owns the largest share. Scott says it could make money for her, but Roderick says, it’s small money to her. Scott asks if Roderick is having an affair with her, and he says, no… okay. Scott says he saw the damn tape. Stop lying, and tell him everything. Does her husband know? Roderick says, no. Jim threatened him. Scott says he saw that moment at the bar. It didn’t look pleasant. Roderick says, it wasn’t. Scott asks, who’s in charge? and Roderick finally says, Candace. Scott says, now they’re talking. Does the President know she was a prostitute? Roderick doesn’t know, and Scott says, get her on the phone. Roderick says, she spooks easy; she’ll know right away. Scott says Roderick has been very helpful, but he needs a lot more. Roderick says, if he tells Scott everything, will he still get deported? Scott says that depends on how much he helps. Keep bringing it. Scott asks, who’s this guy? pointing to RK. Roderick says, he works with her. Scott points to Rocky, and says, this guy? Rocky says they’re all in this together. Scott asks, is there a code word? Roderick says if you order whiskey on the rocks with a beer chaser and mudded lime. Scott says, okay. Let’s have some fun.

Madison and David approach the body. David takes a breath. Madison holds his. The cover is lifted, and David says…

Veronica is on a porch, and when someone opens the door, she’s shocked.

Next time, Madison tells David they got a call from that address, Hanna tells Benny they’re giving the money back, and Jim tells Kathryn if they don’t give the Malones $75K cash by the end of the day, they’ll put a hit out on Wyatt.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

It’s the last breakfast in Hawaii. Kyle isn’t feeling well, and can’t afford to be sick. When she gets home, she has to get ready for Farrah’s 30th birthday. Dorit says she’s a little tired and anxious to get home. We see clips of Kyle and Mauricio out the night before. Camille joins the women and Mauricio. In her interview, she says it’s kind of trippy, waking up and being a Mrs. again. Mauricio asks if they’re going anywhere for a honeymoon, and Camille says, Switzerland. Kyle, who can’t seem to keep a lid on it, says she found out something weird. One of the family home of one of Alexia’s friend’s was burglarized. The construction workers were taking a lie detector test, and LVP was there taking one. Camille says, it’s ridiculous. Over a dog? Honestly, I don’t get their reaction to this, since they’re the ones who made the big deal out of calling LVP a liar. Camille says she hasn’t seen anything from LVP. LisaR tries to get her to admit it’s a huge devastation, but Camille says, it’s a little owey. LisaR says LVP doesn’t have to behave that way. Camille thinks it’s hurtful and sad. She wishes LVP could be there for her and dismiss all of this. Kyle says they have to get moving, and Camille thanks them all for coming.

Denise gets home from filming. She finds a gift from LisaR and Harry. The note says, Cheers to you and Aaron. Many happy endings! Eloise lost a tooth, and Denise tells her about the tooth fairy. In her interview, Denise says she’s grateful that Aaron is okay with her being on location with her ex-boyfriend. If their roles were reversed, she doesn’t know if she’d be as understanding. She might say she was, but she’d be a little jealous. Aaron is puzzled about the happy endings remark, and she says she may have done something he won’t be too happy about. We flash back to her telling the story about finding him a happy ending when she went camping. She says she didn’t get into the details, and told them he was mortified. Aaron says, it was awkward. Denise says it might not have been the weirdest thing ever if she hadn’t been a hundred years old. Aaron says, two hundred. She says some of the women were a little judgmental, but they can judge all they want. He says, it’s out there now.

Kyle packs her million pairs of shoes back up. She says it was so much fun. Everyone had a great time. and got along. That in itself is a wedding gift for Camille. In the airport limo, LisaR brings up an article in People magazine about LVP and Camille. Dorit says she was way surprised. LisaR reads that Camille said LVP helped her take a leap of faith, and she respects LVP’s decision not to attend the wedding. In LisaR’s interview, she says Camille tells them one thing, and something different in the article. She doesn’t trust both sides of Camille’s mouth. Because I guess Camille can’t possibly feel more than one way, or maybe felt differently later on. LisaR says Camille needs to own her sh*t, and had better step up. Ha-ha! Or what? Since she can never stop being a big-mouthed jerk, LisaR tells Dorit that Camille says not nice things behind her back. We flash back to Camille saying Dorit makes the hairs on the back of her neck stand up. Dorit says Camille claimed it was great getting to know her. We see a clip from the camping trip where Camille says now that she knows Dorit better, they can move forward. I’d also like to point out that when Camille said that to LisaR, it was way before the camping trip. Dorit says, don’t pretend to be nice.  Kyle tells her that Camille says what she thinks someone wants to hear. Teddi doesn’t care about the article, but at least tell them. I can’t believe none of these women understand how tabloids work.

Dorit tells PK he’s not allowed to have chips. Crunch on carrots. Somehow, I don’t think that’s going to work for him.

Erika asks Tom if he wants to come to a party. She got a text from Kyle, but he suddenly has something else to do. Can’t say I blame him.

Kyle picks up LisaR, who disgusts me at this point. LisaR is going for a mammogram. Both her mom and half-sister had double mastectomies, and she’s a little nervous. Kyle asks what LisaR is wearing to the party, but LisaR wants it to be a surprise. Kyle says there are going to be five hundred people. She still has to get a Ferris wheel. She says the party cost about fifteen Birkin bags. LisaR asks what she remembers about being pregnant the first time. She was screaming and crying, and locked the door when she found out there were so many tests, and the nurse wasn’t having it. Well, that does sound a little insane.

LisaR says, it was quite a weekend. When People magazine came out, she lost her sh*t. She wasn’t happy that she told Dorit that Camille was talking about her, but she felt like she had enough. So let me get this straight. LisaR had enough, so she decided to hurt both Camille and Dorit by telling Dorit that Camille had been talking about her. Okay. Does she ever look in a mirror?

Since Kyle was already scheduled for next week, she jumps on LisaR’s mammo-tails and gets in her appointment now. LisaR says now she can focus on Kyle’s anxiety rather than her own. In Kyle’s interview, she says it gives her anxiety, but her mom died because she didn’t get one. If she’d gone, maybe she’d still be with them. Kyle is haunted by it. In LisaR’s interview, she thinks the anxiety leading up to the test is more frightening than the procedure. The radiologist shows LisaR her results on a laptop, and she’s good. More pictures are wanted from Kyle, and she freaks. In her interview, she says when she was turning thirty, her mom found a lump. Now here she is. They think the see something the day of daughter’s thirtieth birthday.

We all nervously wait. Kyle looks like she going to pass out, and starts crying. She tells LisaR that she has to wait. The radiologist apologizes, and tells Kyle it looks great. LisaR hugs her, and Kyle says she just got scared when they wanted to look again. LisaR says she’s all good, and the radiologist says it was just dense tissue.

Dorit tells PK she doesn’t think anyone will be coming to the party as Karl Lagerfeld, and he says he doesn’t think anyone can compete. In Dorit’s interview, she says she loves Halloween. PK is going as Karl, and she’s his kitty cat, Choupette. PK’s head is sweating in the wig already, and I feel his pain. I have given up on Halloween wigs at parties forever.

LisaR says she has to nail it. In her interview, she says when she dresses up, she’s one hundred million percent. She wants to get as close as she can to the look, and act the part. I’m sure she does. Can I start a Make LisaR Go Away page on Facebook?

Farrah’s party is being set up. Kyle says since Farrah was born on Halloween, they’ve always called it Farrahween. She’s flown Alexia home for the occasion. Kyle asks if Alexia’s dad has seen her outfit, and we see a clip of Mauricio wondering where the rest of it is. Kyle says their mom can dress like a tramp if she wants to. She’s going as a Playboy bunny, and has paid over $600 for what’s basically a black one-piece swimsuit and ears. The tail was an extra $45. If that’s what it means to be rich, I think I could do it better.

No surprise, the decorations are fabulous. Subtler, yet more lavish than Dorinda in the Berkshires. Teddi calls Kyle, who’s stuck in her expensive costume, since the zipper won’t work. She’s waiting for an Uber bringing her another one. Teddi says she’s about a block away, and Kyle asks her to entertain everyone until she figures out what she’s doing. Teddi is dressed as Harley Quinn (me two Halloweens ago), and arrives with Edwin Joker. A vampire jumps out at them. Teddi hates it. Denise follows, in a mini Marie Antoinette dress and wig, with Aaron wearing something Edwardian.

Kyle says she’s literally stuck, and has to pee. Mauricio says he can take it off. He hands her a new costume, and brings her new costume. He rips the back open on the one she’s stuck in, and she gets pissed, saying what if the new one doesn’t work?

Outside, Dorit freaks at the vampire jumping out. Erika says their costumes are clever. I’m surprised that she’s so boring as a leopard or something. LisaR comes as Erika, and Erika loves it. She says she saw herself. It wasn’t her, but it was her at Coachella. She says LisaR nailed it. In her interview, LisaR says, Erika is every girls dream; sexual, over-the-top, and can get away with anything. They start to wonder where Kyle is, and Teddi says, she had a wardrobe malfunction.

Kyle gets her new costume adjusted. Her daughters are like, omg, your butt is hanging out.

Kim arrives dressed as a modernized version of a gangster from the 40s. In LisaR’s interview, she says she was kind of shocked to see Kim. She wishes she’s had a heads up. My Lord, this woman needs to be apprised of everything. It is actually a family party. How shocked can she be? What a lame brain. Maybe they took out brain cells to plump her lips.

Denise can’t breathe in her costume, but Dorit says she looks hot, so that’s all that counts. Camille, as Catwoman, comes with a friend, and the morally corrupt Faye Resnick right behind her. In her interview, Dorit says she’s a fashionista cat, Erika is an exotic cat, and Camille is a stray cat. She wonders where Camille bought a mask to cover both her faces. Okay. Hate her too now. Kyle tells her not to say anything to Camille. In Dorit’s interview, she says she has terrible anxiety, not knowing what Camille said about her, but she just got married and it’s Farrah’s birthday. Oh gee. Think you might be able to control yourself for a whole evening? Denise says she’s always clueless, and we flash back to Denise saying she’s lost during one of the many Puppygate convos.

The birthday girl comes out, and we see Mauricio as Hugh Hefner. In Kyle’s interview, she says, earlier, she was facing the worst thing, and it’s a reminder to celebrate family and friends when you get the chance. She takes the mic, and says Farrah is an inspiration, and she can’t believe she has a child who’s thirty. In her interview, she says it’s every parent’s dream to see their child grow to be a responsible adult; self-sufficient, smart, and successful. She’s proud of Farrah, and proud of the job she and Mauricio did. They kind of know what they’re doing. She tells everyone to take a ride on Farrah’s wheel. The DJ begins to play music, and everyone dances. In her interview, Kyle says she got a silver Rolex for her thirtieth birthday. In Erika’s interview, she says she went to Vegas. Dorit says she had a surprise luncheon in Connecticut, and didn’t have Ferris wheel.

Kyle talks to the women about her mammogram. She suggests a spin on the wheel, and Dorit wants to know why they have to be first. Kyle’s seatbelt is stuck, much like her first costume. In Teddi’s interview, she says she promised not to bring anything up to Camille, but they ended up side by side. Kyle says, FML when she gets stuck at the top.

There’s a photographer, and the women get a group shot taken. LisaR, in character as Erika, tells Kim that giving the bunny back to LisaR was something [bleep]. In her interview, Kim says she and LisaR don’t have a good history. We flash back to several episodes where LisaR acted incredibly nosy and rude to Kim, ending with her returning the bunny to LisaR at the reunion. Because it lacked good energy. She says she didn’t mean to be crude, rude, or disrespectful, but she feels attacked. She’s not hearing anything from LisaR but see you next Tuesday. LisaR likes being Erika.

Kim asks Dorit if that wasn’t wrong on LisaR’s part. It was upsetting. Kyle says, it was uncalled for. Kim says, it was inappropriate and rude. Kyle thinks LisaR is holding a grudge. In Kim’s interview, she says LisaR is always looking for attention. Denise joins them, and Kim whines that LisaR was rude to her. In Denise’s interview, she says LisaR is one of her best friends (I’m sorry), and was hurt by the bunny situation. She tells Kim that she really hurt LisaR’s feelings. Kim doesn’t believe it. In her interview, Kim says Denise should stand back. This is between her and LisaR. Let it go. Kyle says Kim isn’t wrong, and to give her that. It wasn’t okay. Denise is sorry that Kim is feeling hurt. Kim says she’s not, and Denise asks what’s the problem then. Kyle doesn’t think Denise gets it. Denise says, who cares about some bunny? They need to let it go. Well, here’s the thing, Denise. LisaR is the one who brought it up. Hello? Is this thing on?

LisaR says she’s Erika tonight, and admits to saying something about the bunny. Dorit observes that there are still strong feelings about it. In her interview, Kim says there are two years of unresolved energy. We flash back to Kim calling out LisaR on saying Kim was near death when she was nothing of the kind. Erika wishes it was different between them. In her interview, LisaR says, giving back the bunny was rude. Kim asks Erika/LisaR if they’re good, and says she wants to get a message to LisaR. Denise suggests LisaR be herself in the moment. Kim asks to have a private chat, and they sit.

Kim tells LisaR that she’s not looking for a fight, and LisaR looks beautiful. LisaR realizes she’s been over-the-top in character. Kim asks if she wants to say she’s sorry, but LisaR says Kim still hasn’t apologized for the bunny moment. Kim says, what about her? They used to have a nice relationship, and she’d be happy to go back to that, but LisaR has to be nice. LisaR agrees what she did wasn’t appropriate, but neither was what Kim did. Kim asks if LisaR can’t see her side. In Kim’s interview, she says there’s a lot of damage to repair. She doesn’t regret giving back the bunny. She was hurt by a lot of things LisaR did. LisaR says Kim caught her off-guard. She was scared to see Kim, and reacted that way. In her interview, LisaR says Kim giving the bunny back was the most hurt she’s been by this group. We flash back to Kim giving LisaR back the bunny, and tears streaming down LisaR’s face. She says it was like a gut punch. Sorry. I have no sympathy for her. Kim can be a nut, but LisaR dogged her the whole season. And if that’s the most hurt LisaR has been, she doesn’t know what hurt is. She says she’s sorry for what happened between them. Can they move on? Kim suggests forgiving each other. LisaR is glad their having this conversation under a dead angel. They hug, and Kim says, miracles happen. You never know.

Next time, Brandi (bleh) meets with Denise (I love Denise, but not so much her choice of friends), Camille says Teddi has gotten too big for her britches, Kyle plans a girls trip to France, and Camille’s house burns down.

🐍 LisaR autocorrects to lizard. Just sayin’…

💩 Stupidest. Sh*t. Ever.

One more reason to look at LisaR with disgust.

I rarely tweet, but I had to reply to this nonsense. You can say she was thoughtless. You can say the joke was tasteless or inappropriate. You can say a lot of things, but LVP is not transphobic. You, however, are a real piece of work, who should not be so proud of her big mouth.

But LVP remains a lady, acknowledging a poor choice of words.

👑 Because Why Not?

And because Candace gave me an earworm.
