What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts, recaps, and the whole GH enchilada on Fridays)

General Hospital

On the phone, Portia says she needs Heather’s test results as soon as possible. Curtis walks in and says he thought it would be a good time to show her the Aurora Wellness Center, but she says, the lab promised Heather’s results would be ready any second. He says he knows she’s worried about Heather’s possible release, but is she sure she wants to put her life on hold for that woman? Does she want to give Heather that much power?

Ric spots TJ while he lifts weights at the new Wellness Center. Ric says, this place is amazing, and TJ says, that’s why he took advantage of the free membership Curtis gave him. If he doesn’t get his anger at Kristina out, he’s afraid of what he’ll do.

Molly arrives at Alexis’s house and says, Alexis didn’t tell her why she wanted to see her. Kristina comes out and says she thinks she knows why.

Sonny asks how long Anna is going to be, and she says, they’d take less time if he’d produce his 9-millimeter. He says, it was his understanding that he was innocent until proven guilty, and Jason says, that’s what he heard. There’s a knock at the door, and Sonny lets Diane in. He says, perfect timing. He’s having a conversation with the Commissioner. She thinks he’s dumb enough to kill a federal agent.

Lucky says he’s curious. How come Sidwell is so sure Isaiah isn’t coming back? Sidwell says, he may or may not, but it won’t matter. By then, he’ll have found what he wanted and moved on. He lays down his cards and says, four Jacks. Can Lucky beat that?

Sidwell’s thug is about to inject Isaiah’s IV tube with the syringe, when Jordan walks in. She asks what he’s doing, and he puts the syringe behind his back and walks toward her.

Lucky has the winning hand and says he’s sorry to disappoint Sidwell. Sidwell says, eventually, Lucky’s luck will run out. He asks the guard to see if there are any cards stuffed up Lucky’s sleeve, but the guard says, they’re asking for Sidwell at the mine. Sidwell says, this might be the news he’s been waiting for. Work calls. He has the handcuffs put back on Lucky, and Lucky says he thought they were friends. Sidwell says he got to where he is by never trusting friends.

Jordan tells Sidwell’s thug that she needs to see his hospital badge, or she’ll call security. He tries to move past her, but she blocks him, and he pushes her down and runs.

Portia says she knows Curtis is right, but she can’t let it go. He asks, why? and she says, things changed. When Heather was being represented by Scotty, she wasn’t happy, but she knew Scotty would probably never follow through with his promises. The case would never go to trial. Now that he’s gone, Ric Lansing is the one working on the case. Curtis admits he didn’t see that one coming, and Portia says she’s heard he’s a better lawyer. He’s going to use the tests results if they say Heather no longer has cobalt in her blood. As if he could prove how evil someone is. Curtis says, if Heather is no longer suffering from metallosis, she was the victim of medical malpractice, and Portia asks if he’s suggesting her daughter isn’t the only one who’s suffering, and that Heather is a victim too.

TJ tells Ric that Kristina promised they could trust her. She claimed she was the perfect candidate because she was family. They convinced themselves that she was right, and now the selfish princess decided to keep the baby. Ric says, TJ isn’t wrong for feeling the way he does, and TJ says he thinks what Irene’s life would have been like if she’d lived. He and Molly would have been in for the custody battle of their lives, but Irene could have come home where she belonged. Kristina did everything to steal her away. He’ll never forgive her. Ric wonders if Molly feels the same, but TJ says he doesn’t know. She’s a good sister and has a good heart. Ric says, and Kristina is going to call Molly to come help her pick up the pieces, and TJ says, and find a fresh way to hurt them again.

Molly says she wouldn’t have come if she knew Kristina was going to be here, and Kristina says, neither would she. Alexis says she’s asking them to remember who they are. Sisters. Molly says, it’s still too fresh. It’s better that they keep their distance. Alexis says, as their mother, she knows better. They’re both alone and suffering, and she’s just asking for five minutes.  

At the station, Chase says he thought Dex was searching Sonny’s, but Dex says, Anna told him to file the report. Chase asks what they found, but Dex says, nothing. That’s the problem. A gun was missing, but Sonny claimed he didn’t know it was gone. He didn’t seem worried, and it was odd. Chase says, maybe Sonny knows Anna is barking up the wrong tree.

Diane asks why Anna is shaking down Sonny over a registered weapon, and Anna says, Sonny was near the scene of the shooting. Clearly, he must have at least heard it. Diane says, conjecture, and asks if she has anyone who will go on record as a witness. Anna says, Michael, and Diane says she doubts that. A federal agent was persecuting the mother of one of Sonny’s children and weaponized the system against him. He has the right to be enraged. Anna says, that rage could easily turn to violence, and Diane says, speculation. Has she found anything? Anna says, nothing, but she has questions that need to be answered down at the station. Diane says, Sonny’s not going anywhere, but Anna says, Jason needs to come with her.

Holly walks in, and Lucky says, they don’t have much time. She sees he’s handcuffed again, and he says he needs her to find the keys so he can get the hell out of here. She’s more than welcome to come. She asks if he knows where Jenz is, and he says, Sidwell got excited and rushed out. They found something in the mine. She says, like what? and he says he doesn’t know. Gold? Diamonds? The Holy Grail? Sidwell bolted out of here like he’d hit the jackpot, and it’s his best last chance to get out. She has to find the keys. She asks if he said diamonds.

Curtis says he’ll never forgive Heather, and Portia says, then they’re on the same page. He says, but she was suffering from a medical condition, and she asks if that means Heather isn’t accountable for her actions. He says he met with Heather and even to his trained eye, she seemed to be a changed woman. She asks if he’s saying they should do nothing and let her go free, but he says, if it comes to it, they’ll fight her release. The cobalt poisoning may have influenced her behavior, but her actions were unforgivable and horrific. They were her choice, and she needs to pay for them. She says, when the tests come back, the judge and jury’s take will be that Heather is cured and no longer dangerous. He says, they can’t control that. He wishes there was more they could say or do, but they can’t take matters into their own hands. As hard as it is to say it, they just have to trust the system. He has to get back to the Wellness Center. She says she’ll be fine, and he leaves.  

Ric says, TJ isn’t wrong for feeling the way he does. There’s no question that if Molly is pressured, she’ll let Kristina back in. TJ says, and Molly will sweep her own feelings under the carpet, forgive Kristina, and smile, with Alexis leading the charge. She’ll hold Kristina’s hand while Molly is forced to deal on her own without any family support. Ric says, that’s why she needs them now more than ever. Molly comes first. She’s the most important and the rest is just noise. They have to care for Molly in the way her so-called family won’t, and he knows they will.

Molly asks if Alexis wants her to pretend Kristina didn’t betray her in the worst way. It was clear she was going to steal Molly’s baby. Alexis says, it’s more complicated than that, and Molly says, when she was at her lowest, Kristina came to her with this amazing gift, pretending… Kirstina says she wasn’t pretending, and Molly asks if Kristina ever thought about what this would do to TJ. He’s just been an afterthought, but he’s the baby’s father. Kristina conveniently forgot that and made it entirely about herself. She never once asked how TJ was doing. He’s devastated and buried in his own grief. He doesn’t know how to process and she’s not sure he’ll ever recover.

Chase tells Dex that Ric and Elizabeth saw Alexis Davis drop a gun off the bridge at Blackstone Canyon the night John was killed. Alexis said she dropped her phone, but Elizabeth seemed pretty sure it was a gun. Chase says he doesn’t know how Alexis would be involved. Maybe it’s not connected. Sonny’s motive is obvious. It seems like a stretch for Alexis to have killed John. Dex says, Chase didn’t see her when she found out Cates had arrested Kristina. She came in heated and screaming about how he needed to be stopped. He remembers thinking, that lady would kill Cates if she could. (As Diane would say, conjecture.)

Ric is on the treadmill when Curtis comes into the Wellness Center. Ric says, if Curtis is looking for his son-in-law, he just left for the hospital. They were talking about how amazing this place is. He’d like a membership for when he’s in town. Curtis says, the front desk can help him, and Ric says he’s so proud of TJ. He’s reminded how much TJ impressed him. TJ is the best partner for his daughter that he could have asked for. Curtis says, TJ is a good man, and Ric says, not just TJ. The whole Ashford family has been supportive of Molly, and he’s grateful for Curtis and his family. Curtis says, they love Molly, but he has a question. If Ric is so grateful, how come he’s representing the woman who terrorized Curtis’s daughter?

Kristina says she doesn’t know what Molly is talking about, and Molly says, Kristina had a custody agreement drawn up. Kristina says she was protecting the baby. Molly would have done the same in her position. There was so much tension between Molly and TJ, and if they’d split up, TJ would be the only one who could legally have custody. Molly says, the only thing they fought about was Kristina. TJ didn’t trust her and Molly kept defending her. TJ was right. He saw the real Kristina before Molly did. Kristina says, Adela was hers for eight months, and Molly asks if Alexis got what she wanted. Is she happy? Alexis says, it’s breaking her heart, and Molly says, get used to it. Kristina doesn’t think about anybody but herself and she’s done pretending it’s okay. Kristina says, she was protecting Adela, and Molly says, stop calling her that. Kristina says, stop pretending she and TJ have a perfect relationship, and Alexis says, stop it, both of them. She’s sorry. This was a terrible idea. Michael comes to the door and says he was in the neighborhood and thought he’d stop in and see Kristina. He can come back. Alexis says she thinks that’s best, but Kristina says, no. It’s perfect. Take her anywhere, as long as it’s away from here. She leaves with him and Molly sits down.  

Diane says, Anna has no right to take Jason in. His movements were accounted for. Anna says she thought he’d like to make a statement. A man is dead who he’s known since he was a teenager. Jason says he’s not going anywhere, and Anna says, it’s a shame. She thought he’d want to do the right thing and help with the investigation. Jason says he has no new information, and if she wants to arrest him, he won’t say anything without his attorney. Diane tells Anna, Jason had nothing to do with the murder. He has an airtight alibi provided by – wait for it – you. Anna says, conveniently, and Diane says she hopes Anna isn’t suggesting something nefarious. She has no evidence. Anna says she has a missing 9-millimeter and a motive, but Diane says, Cates was obsessed with Sonny and went after Sonny’s family because of a decades old vendetta. Sonny had no animosity against him. Sonny says, let him get this straight. He hated Jagger and he’s glad Jagger is dead.

Jordan stumbles out of Isaiah’s room and tells Elizabeth to call security. That man is posing as an orderly. She sees Sidwell’s thug slipping through a door, and says, stop him. He’s taking the stairwell. Tell security. She follows him, but he’s waiting and grabs her from behind. He tries to stick her with the syringe, but she gets the better of him, putting him in a headlock. She says, you son of a bitch. Try pushing me now.

Diane says, Anna had a search warrant, and a theft was just found out. Sonny did his duty as a legal gun owner and her client has nothing further to say. She’ll see herself out. Michael and Kristina come in, and Michael asks, what’s going on? Sonny says, a fishing expedition, and Anna asks if they know one of Sonny’s firearms is missing. Did either of them take it?

Security escorts Sidwell’s thug to the elevator, and Elizabeth asks if Jordan is all right. Jordan asks if this is the man Elizabeth found in Isaiah’s room, and Elizabeth says, he is. Who is he? Jordan says, good question. Start talking. The thug says he has nothing to say, and Jordan says, it will do him better if he tells her who he is and who he’s working for, but he says, screw you. She says, have it his way, and the guard takes the thug into the elevator. Jordan tells Elizabeth to let the PCPD know and request security around the clock for Isaiah’s room. She has the feeling he won’t be the last person after him. If there’s any change, let her know. Elizabeth says, of course (🍷), and Jordan goes into the elevator.

Lucky says, who cares about diamonds? He’s got to go. Holly suggests they think this through, but he says, it’s not the time for a strategy session. She needs to find the keys. She says she’ll cut him in, and he says, to what? Death? She says, diamonds. If Jenz found what she thinks he found, it’s the biggest score of her career and there will be plenty for both of them both. They’ll end up very wealthy if they play their cards right. He says, that’s no good if he’s dead. The only reason he’s still breathing is because Sidwell is mildly entertained by him. She says, he’s his father’s son and like Luke, endlessly entertaining.

Ric tells Curtis that he has zero interest in Heather’s criminal charges, but her medical condition was due to product liability. It doesn’t change what she’d done, but she didn’t choose to have a faulty implant. Curtis asks if there are other patients, and Ric says, they’re coming forward every day, and all of them had a negative impact. If he drops the case, another lawyer will just take it up. It’s front-page news and gaining steam. Heather will get her day in court no matter what, and when that day comes, does Curtis want a shark he doesn’t know representing her, or someone he knows who respects his family? He’ll do everything he can to make sure to do right by Curtis, Portia, and especially Trina. Can anybody else promise that?

Kristina says, Sonny is missing a gun? and Anna says, it’s the same caliber as the one used to kill John Cates. They need to run a ballistics test to make sure it’s not the murder weapon. Diane asks why she’s questioning Sonny’s children, and Anna asks if either of them took the gun. Michael asks why they’d take the gun without asking. No. Anna says, Kristina neither? and Kristina says, of course (🍷) not. Diane says, Anna got her answer. Please leave. Anna says she’s done for now, but don’t leave town without notifying the PCPD. John Cates was deeply flawed and his individual abuse of power unacceptable. She’s ashamed at his behavior, but nothing he did gave anyone the right to murder him. He did not deserve to lose his life this way (🍷) and she’ll devote all her energy to solving the case and bringing his killer to justice. She leaves.

Alexis says she knows Molly can’t see beyond her own grief, but family is so important. Please don’t give up on her sister. She’s begging Molly. Molly says she won’t give up on the memory of her daughter, even though Kristina decided to keep Irene for herself. Alexis says, no one could have foreseen or predicted how hard Kristina’s pregnancy would be, and Molly tells her, stop talking about how hard it is for Kristina. Kristina makes horrible choices and refuses to take responsibility for them. Alexis says, she’s not being fair, and Molly says, Alexis always takes Kristina’s side. Alexis says she’s not taking either side, but Molly says, be honest. She’s made peace Alexis always shows up to lift Kristina up, which she’s never done for Molly. Alexis says, that’s not true, and Molly says, she’s doing it now. Alexis says, Kristina’s not in her right mind and she’s all alone. Kristina needs her. Molly says, of course (🍷). Kristina is always going to need her. That’s how she knows she’s stronger. She can stand on her own two feet, and she’s going to get through it together with TJ. Alexis says she loves all of her daughters and wants Molly to need her and lean on her. Molly says she can’t count on that, so Alexis should do what she does best. Focus on Kristina and keep Kristina away from her. She leaves.

Anna says, Elizabeth and Ric saw Alexis dispose of a weapon, and tells Dex and Chase to set up an interview with Alexis. Chase says he heard they came up empty at Sonny’s house, and Anna says, that doesn’t mean the weapon doesn’t exist. Chase says, now Ric and Elizabeth have made it more complicated, and she tells him to keep her updated. Chase and Dex leave, and Jordan comes in with Sidwell’s thug.

Curtis says he slept better knowing Scotty was handling the case. He knew Scotty was more interested in his cut and less in cutting Heather’s sentence. Ric says, the first thing he did was lower Heather’s expectations. First, he’s going to make the medical supply company culpable for what they did to Heather and Trina. But it’s a civil, not a criminal case. Curtis says, when that happens, the criminal case will be reopened. How does he protect his family then?  

Diane tells Sonny that she’ll be in her office preparing for Anna’s next move. Don’t make it harder by telling Anna how much he hated Cates. Sonny says he thought she’d enjoy the challenge, but she says she enjoys winning and he’s getting in the way. She tells all of them not to open their mouths. Take Jason’s lead and zip it. She leaves, and Kristina tells Sonny that she needs to talk to him, but he asks her for a minute to talk to Jason. They go out to the hallway, and Sonny tells Jason that he knows what to do. Jason leaves, and Sonny goes back inside. He tells Kristina that it will be fine. Trust him. She says, he’s in trouble so much more than he thinks and it’s all her fault. She took his gun.

Ric says, Heather was the only one who committed murder because she gave into her violent tendencies. The medical supply company is partly to blame, but so is Heather. He won’t forget what she’s capable of. The important thing is that Curtis knows they’re on the same team. He wants justice for Curtis’s family and he’s going to deliver it. He leaves.

Portia does an internet search on Heather Webber.

Jordan tells Anna that it’s obvious he’s a professional, and Anna says, a hit man after the John Doe at GH. Jordan says she caught him before he finished the job, and Anna says, but they still don’t know his identity. She was just looking at the footage from the airport and there’s nothing suspicious. Jordan looks on the laptop and says, take a look at this. It’s John Doe exiting the terminal. Maybe he’s looking for a cab to go back… That’s him. The man who attacked her, the hit man. He wants John Doe dead.

Elizabeth tells Isaiah, they may not know who he is or where he’s from, but she’s sure of one thing. He matters to someone out there. Isaiah opens his eyes and sit up a little. He says, Lucky… Lucky…

Lucky asks Holly to get the key. He promises not to blow her cover. She’ll look like she was overpowered. She says, Jenz can’t be suspicious. She can’t afford to lose his trust when she’s so close to getting what she wants. He says, what about what he wants? and she says, name it. He says, how about staying alive? and she says, he doesn’t need her for that. Just be his usual brilliant self, keep winning at poker, and keep Jenz entertained. She cups his face in her hands and says, remember. He’s just as handsome and as capable as his father. She has every confidence in him. She leaves.

Kristina tells Sonny that she never meant to cause so much pain. She didn’t know what she was doing, and now he’s under suspicion. He says, they can’t touch him. Tell him where the gun is. She says, mom found it and was worried she’d hurt herself. She wasn’t going to do that and would never do that. That was not her intention. He says he’s glad. Now tell him where it is. She says, mom got rid of it. She said she put somewhere no one will ever find it.

Molly says she has to go. She’s said all there is to say. There’s a knock at the door, and Molly opens it to Dex and Chase. Chase says he has some questions for Alexis and asks her to come down to the station. Molly asks, what questions? and Chase says, Alexis was seen disposing of a gun the night of the murder and they need to know why.

Behind a warehouse, Jason takes the gun apart. He puts on gloves and opens a barrel filled with liquid. (I’m assuming it’s some kind of acid.) He slides the gun parts into the liquid.

Tomorrow, Elizabeth asks how Isaiah knows Lucky; Jack says he’s intrigued; Carly says, it’s a matter of life or death; and Jason asks Anna for a minute.

Below Deck Mediterranean

While eating in the crew mess, Aesha tells Nathan that the pressure has been alleviated by the extra experienced stew. Look at where she is right now.  He says it’s the first time he’s seen her sit for a meal. On deck, Joe once again micromanages Gael, who gives him monosyllabic answers. He tells Gael that he doesn’t want to upset her, and she says she tries to keep her head down and do her work, but sometimes he’s a pr*ck. In her interview, she says she realized that she’s trying to make another guy happy, and he asks how he’s a pr*ck. She says, he’s an a-hole, calling her a princess, checking her work, and making sure she’s working. We flash back to him doing all that, and she asks if he doesn’t think she works as much or that she’s treated differently. Joe says, they have two charters left, and she says, if he’s going to be a pr*ck, she’s not going to give him the time of day. In Gael’s interview, she says, people have a misconception about her because she did dance and a pageant, but she plays rugby and does deck work. She works her ass off, so she’s not labeled a princess. Joe asks if he’s ever raised his voice at her, and in her interview, she says, words don’t trigger her; intentions trigger her. He thinks she’s getting special treatment. Don’t characterize her like that. Don’t act like he knows her when he obviously doesn’t. Joe says, it’s not intentional, and she says, no more calling her princess. If he has a problem with her, just say it. In Joe’s interview, he says he’s trying to do a good job. He feels the heat rising and just wants it to calm down. He’s hoping Gael doesn’t hold a grudge.

The Greek dinner is prepared, and Aesha says, it’s (guest) Mike’s birthday dance party. She asks the stews to decorate. In Aesha’s interview, she says, Carrie is a yachtie. She wishes the girls would stop worrying about how much power they have. A guest says, the table looks very Grecian, which I think was the point, and in Carrie’s interview, she says she’s sensing Ellie wants to prove her authority. She’s not here to take Ellie’s job. She’s here to help. She’ll let Ellie have her stage. You, go. Good job, little buddy. In Jono’s interview, he says he feels deflated and bummed out from the last charter. He’s always figured out how to bounce back. He’s going to be a phoenix rising from the ashes, and everything from now on will be amazing. The starters are served and… ooh pretty! The dock manager texts Captain Sandy that the inflatables have arrived, and the captain wants to get them on the boat for tonight. Guest Rob wonders if it would be rude of him to lick his plate, but the other guests support it.

Joe tells Nathan that Gael hates him. She thinks he has something against her, and he wonders if Nathan knows what the problem is since he’s her boyfriend. Nathan says he’s not her boyfriend and doesn’t even know what’s going on. Iain tells Joe and Nathan that they need to fetch everything, and the DJ calls saying he’s ready to be picked up. Aesha radios Iain and asks him to get the DJ too. Jono visits the guests’ table and says he hopes they’re enjoying the food. The feedback is fantastic, unbelievable, and as good as it gets. Guest Beth gives Mike a calendar that’s mostly blurred, but I think it’s a Grecian Kama Sutra situation. In Aesha’s interview, she says, there’s a little bit of kink going on in Ohio. I could have told her that. She suggests they go downstairs for the afterparty, and the guests put on headphones for the silent disco. I don’t get the point of that, and it looks stupid. In Joe’s interview, he says, Carrie is showing signs of being interested. He learned something from Ellie and Bri, but it’s easy to fall into old habits. Jono and Gael talk about what they’re doing after the season, and Gael says, there are no concrete plans, but she’s in talks.

Aesha sends Carrie down to see if the guests need anything, and they ask for tequila shots. Carrie goes to the bar and Ellie asks her to help clear the table, but she says, Aesha asked her to check on the guests. She brings the tequila, and they put headphones on her, then ask for more drinks. Ellie asks if Carrie minds doing dishes while she does service, and in Ellie’s interview, she says she was under the impression that Carrie was here to help with odd jobs like housework and laundry. She wonders if Aesha is seeing her as the weak link, even though she’s felt like she was carrying the team the whole season. We hear the sound of one hand clapping as the disco ends. Ellie radios that the DJ’s set is done, and he’ll need a ride shortly. In Carrie’s interview, she says she knows what drama does to an interior team. She’s seen it and she’s not here to cause it. The DJ thanks them and says, it was fun. He heads out on the tender, and Ellie radios the crew that the guests have gone to bed.

2nd day of charter – Moni Island, Greece. The captain points out that the wind is picking up, and Bri’s color beads arrive. In Bri’s interview, she says, at school, she used colors for her study notes to help her learn and remember. She wishes she’d thought of it earlier. Aesha tells the guests that they picked up more inflatables last night, and we see a monkey bar type thing called the tower of power. In Joe’s interview, he says he’s never run an obstacle course. He’s got to take over the platform on a communication level and he’s all for it. They create a course using the trampoline, slides, and tower of power. In Nathan’s interview, he says he’ll do anything to win. He doesn’t like losing. Captain Sandy watches as the teams go through the course – Nathan versus guest Murphy, Aesha versus guest Beth, Gael versus guest Michelle, and Joe versus guest Mike. Joe misses the trampoline, which looks like it hurt, but he says he’s good. The guests are the winners, and in Nathan’s interview, he says, if they want a nice tip, they have to let the guests win. That he wanted to whip them wasn’t on his mind. Carrie visits Bri in the laundry and Bri shows her the new system. One of the guests gives Aesha a medal and says, they’re impressed with her competitiveness. She says she has four brothers.

In Ellie’s interview, she says, Carrie is taking the spotlight from her. It’s definitely a bit hurtful to be tossed on the sidelines. She doesn’t understand why. She’s done her best this season and it makes her not want to care. She doesn’t have to prove herself to anyone and it’s very insensitive. In Aesha’s interview, she says, Jono has been a yo-yo performer this season. He’s hit rock bottom and bounced back. She hopes he stays up to the end. The wind is at 30 knots, and Captain Sandy says, they’re heading back to port. Nathan and Joe link arms and dance around, singing, heading back to port. Carrie tells Aesha that Ellie likes to do things by herself. She asked if Carrie minded if she did service. In Aesha’s interview, she says she’s grateful and happy Carrie is here. It takes the pressure off of her and her team. Carrie says she doesn’t want to cause any rifts, and Aesha says, at the end of the day, it’s about the guests’ experience. In her interview, Aesha says, she needs a cohesive team, and Ellie is making things less efficient to maintain her status or her ego.

In Jono’s interview, he says he lost his mojo and knows he needs to step it up. Yes, bitch. In Ellie’s interview, she says she doesn’t know what it is about Joe, but he keeps sucking her back in. She knows it’s not good for her, but here she is. In Iain’s interview, he says, docking at night is harder because… it’s nighttime. He laughs realizing how stupid that sounds. The boat docks, and Aesha asks Gael to pitch in serving dinner, since they’re doing synchronized service. Captain Sandy asks the guests, how’s dinner? and they tell her, delicious. Jono is top notch. In Aesha’s interview, she says, her goal was to maintain really high Med standards. Now that they finally have a fourth stew, she thinks they’re doing a good job, and it feels really good. She congratulates the guests on their respective anniversaries. In Gael’s interview, she says, Joe has her on an emotional rollercoaster with his fake niceness. The closer she gets to Nathan, the more of a d*ck Joe becomes to her. In Carrie’s interview, she says, Joe is her cheeky wee boy. She takes banter one step too far and it may be problematic. Gael tells Nathan that Joe wondered what he’d done, and she told him that he’d been a pr*ck. She’s going to be honest. In Nathan’s interview, he says he feels the situation is good for Joe, since he’s new to the lead deckhand role, but he’s never been in a situation where a friend didn’t like the girl he was dating. He wants to keep them both as friends, but doesn’t know if he can.

It’s time for the guest departure, and one guest asks if his shoes make his butt look big. The guests say their goodbyes and tell Jono that he killed it. Guest Murphy says, Captain Sandy’s entire team was amazing. It was the trip of a lifetime. The guests leave and the captain tells the crew to meet in the main salon for the tip meeting. While they strip the beds, Ellie tells Carrie, with the exception of Nathan and Gael, no one is seeing each other. She and Bri had tension between them caused by Joe. He was leading them both on, but she cares about him, so it’s hard to be mad. The crew gathers for the tip meeting, and the captain says, they’re almost finished. The deckhands did a great job with the toys. She’s glad Bri got her colors. Now they’ll see how it works. Carrie makes her smile, and she thanks Ellie for her table décor. The chef is killing it. The last charter begins at nine tomorrow. The tip is $20K – 27,000 euros – or 1300 euros each. Captain Sandy calls Leah and asks if she’s excited to be coming tomorrow. In her interview, the captain says she’s nervous about Leah coming for the first time to charter when they land. She can be put in the middle of a storm and she’s not nervous, but a proposal to Leah? She’s shaking from the inside out. Aesha tells Carrie that they want to finish smashing it, and Carrie says, Ellie keeps trying to hurry her along. Aesha says, Ellie doesn’t tell Carrie what to do unless it’s coming from her. The only time Ellie should be telling Carrie what to do is when Aesha is on break.

It’s time for the preference sheet meeting, and the captain reads that the primaries are Stacey and Brad, who are Virginia based and celebrating 27 years together. Aesha says, they’ve been on charter with her before and they’re a lovely couple. She reads that they want disco bohemia the first night, and Jono reads that they want a tapas lunch. Iain says, they want an afterparty based on the crews’ suggestion, and Aesha thinks they should get real drag queens. Me too. Is Trixie Mattel available?

The crew gets ready to go out, and Aesha asks Gael about her and Nathan traveling together. Gael says, you never know how it is when you travel with people. They can put up a front for a long time. She doesn’t think he’s like that though. In Gael’s interview, she says, the way she grew up, you’ve got to look after your people and have each other’s backs. She didn’t have that in her last relationship. We flash back to her boyfriend harassing her, and she says she wants to know that she’s a priority. That’s what she saw with Nathan. We flash back to her with Nathan throughout the season, and she says, he’s looking out for her in ways she wishes her ex had.

The crew goes to Modern Asia restaurant, and in Joe’s interview, he says, Carrie has a sense of humor. She’s not stuck up and he doesn’t have to tiptoe around her like some other girls he knows on board. They toast to the last charter, and Joe tells Carrie that her laugh is the cutest thing. In Ellie’s interview, she says, it’s hard to fault Carrie. She’s trying to do a good job, but she’s triggering Joe’s awful behavior. He’s a player. Why risk burning a bridge with a random person who just got here? Jono and Iain decide to go back to the boat, and Jono says he wants to come out to the club, but can’t afford to make another mistake. They go to club Che, where they’ve been before, and we flash back to Joe kissing Ellie there. Joe’s shirt is wet, so he buys another shirt off of a guy at the club. Carrie says she likes to let loose, and she dances – if that’s what we want to call it – with Joe. In her interview, Ellie says she’s had it with Joe. He chooses the person who gives him the most attention. No man in his right mind would turn down an incredible night with her. Come on. I actually once knew someone who was both egotistical and had an inferiority complex. Just sayin’. She and Bri sit outside on a bench, and Bri says, Ellie is too gorgeous to be worried about such a prawn. In Ellie’s interview, she says she doesn’t know why she went there again, and she tells Bri that she just wants to get off the f***ing boat and go home.

In Bri’s interview, she says she imagines Ellie is feeling fire inside. The more she goes through this sort of situation, the more she learns how to deal with it in a more mature and better way. Carrie tells Joe that Ellie told her, ew, not Joe, and he says they had a drunken kiss, but it didn’t seal the deal. Gael tells Nathan that Carrie is too smart to fall for Joe, but she’s falling for it because she’s horny. Nathan gets to wait. They kiss, and in Nathan’s interview, he says, Gael surprised him. He’s not the kind who settles. He’s like Joe, but he really likes Gael. She’s the exception. In the taxi on the way back, Joe wants to book a trip to Ireland with Nathan, and says, Nathan is going. He books the flight, and Nathan says, Gael is coming with him. In Gael’s interview, she says, Nathan told her that he wanted to travel with her. We flash back to that, and she says, she thought they had plans, but they’re easily to be scribbled over.

Back on the boat, Ellie says her dress should be in a Lamborghini. Her dress deserved a better night, not in a taxi next to a deckhand. Aesha says, Nathan should have told Gael his plans, and Gael says she can’t expect anything from anyone. He booked his flights before she booked hers. Aesha asks if she’s upset because of Nathan or is she still processing the breakup? and in Gael’s interview, she says, her ex didn’t prioritize her. Holy sh*t. She just went through a tough break up and she’s just going to be treated like sh*t again. She tells Aesha not to feel sad for her. She doesn’t trust anyone. Aesha tells her to let it out, and Gael says, it’s hitting her harder than she thought. She’s been trying to hold it in, but it’s been so hard. Every day it breaks her heart. Carrie, Joe, and Nathan swing upside down from a top bunk, and Gael tells Aesha that she can’t. Aesha holds her as she cries.  

Next time, Captain Sandy has a special treat for Leah; Aesha and Ellie clash; and Aesha says, Ellie is overstepping, and she can’t have it.

🎬 This Weekend’s Watch…

I love a good murder mystery, and if it has a wealthy family in it, so much the better. Not totally mindless entertainment, since you’re trying to figure out whodunnit, but a fun diversion. Only six episodes, this is the type of story we’ve seen before, beginning with a murder and backtracking until we discover who the murderer is. It was hard to find an article that didn’t give the ending away, but here you go.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts, recaps, and the whole GH enchilada on Fridays)

General Hospital

In the nook, Sasha gives Drew some coffee, and flashes back to seeing him kiss Willow. She tells him that his speech was inspiring, and he says he’s given other speeches before, but this one was different. She says, last night was full of surprises, when Willow walks in. She asks if Willow wants coffee or a beignet, and Willow says, yes, to both. Sasha says she doesn’t want to brag, but Wiley says these are his new favorites, and Willow says, he calls them bayonets. Sasha tells them to help themselves, and she leaves to see Cody at the stables. Willow and Drew look at each other.

Felicia says she always felt there was a connection between Mac and Cody, and Maxie says, Felicia’s Spidey senses have always been borderline terrifying. She asks if something could have happened to the DNA sample Felicia sent in, but Felicia says, the lab is the best. Even if the sample was contaminated, it would only add to the sample, not take away from it. Maxie says, they’ve all spent a lot of time with Cody, and he’s been wonderful, and Felicia says, that’s why she doesn’t want Maxie to be mad when she says this. He’s lied before, so why should they believe him now?

Scotty goes to Ava’s hotel room, and she checks the hall for a certain FBI agent who’s having her followed because she’s spent time with Sonny. He asks if she means John Cates, and she says, that’s the one. He says he’s known John since high school. He’s a good guy. She asks what Scotty is doing here and is he billing her for it, and he says, oh yeah. He has Diane’s countersuit. Sonny wants sole custody of Avery. He hands her the papers.

Sonny visits his old kitchen and the moss bowl🎍, and Carly says, Avery and Donna are doing crafts with Pilar. Don’t be surprised if they’re covered in glitter. He asks if she doesn’t think Donna is growing up too fast, and she says, that’s why they have to enjoy these glitter filled days. He says, now that Ava’s moved out, would Carly reconsider having Donna spend the night? He and Avery would love it. Jason walks in, as he’s another member of the moss bowl🎍fan club and can’t stay away.

Willow says she wasn’t looking for Drew, but she’s glad she ran into him. She loves Michael with all her heart, and it was wrong of them to kiss. It never should have happened. Drew says, it was an accident. (Yep. He accidentally fell into her lips.) The result of too many drinks and too many fireworks. He loves Michael too and would never hurt him. They did something impulsive and stupid, but one kiss doesn’t have to change anything for anybody.

Maxie says she doesn’t think Cody is lying, but Felicia says she saw the DNA result with her own two eyes. Maxie says, those were the results from the top secret don’t-tell-anyone test. Cody claims the results from the original test prove he’s Mac’s son. Felicia asks if Cody could be working an angle, but Maxie wonders where the big payout would come from. When she talked to Cody last night, she could tell he wanted to bolt. She knows the look of someone wanting to run from the mistakes they’ve made. He was trying to say goodbye without actually saying it. She practically had to threaten him into staying. He can’t leave town after telling Mac that he’s his son.

Sasha goes to the stable and tells Cody that she was going to keep this to herself, but last night… He says, last night he told Mac that he’s his son. He kept thinking about what she’d said. He hated lying to Mac and it just came out. He should have kept his mouth shut. It was worse than he thought. Mac’s furious with him. He said, Cody had plenty of chances to tell him the truth, but he didn’t. He also told Mac about the whole Taub/WSB stuff with Scotty. She asks if Mac understood, and Cody says, what Mac understood is that he betrayed Mac’s family. She says, it was a lot to take in for both of them, and He says, Mac stormed out, so it seems he took in enough. The only person he was madder at than Cody was himself. For believing Cody could be anything but a grifter. She says, that’s harsh and wrong, but give him time. He’s probably in shock. For what it’s worth (🍷), she’s proud of him. He must feel better having that secret off his chest. He says he feels like garbage, and there’s still a weight on his chest. It’s just for a different reason. She asks what he wants to do now, and he says he wants to get the hell out of town.

Ava says, it’s no surprise Sonny is suing for sole custody, and Scotty says, after reading Diane’s filings, he thinks Ava’s expectations should be lower. He doesn’t like the facts of this case. She says, Avery’s father is a dangerous man working in a dangerous business with other dangerous people. What other facts does he need? He says, she was living with Sonny with Avery, but she says she was living there to keep Avery safe and be a loving touchstone for her in a stressful time. He says, judges like stability and don’t like seeing kids ping-ponged around, and she says, that’s why she wants Avery with her full-time, but he says, she’s in a hotel. At Sonny’s, Avery has a routine, and she likes living with her father. Does Ava think a judge will want to take her away from that? She asks if he didn’t tell her that if Sonny had a public meltdown… He says, all bets would be off, but he doubts that’s going to happen during a custody hearing. Sonny’s not that stupid.

Sonny tells Jason that he and Carly are talking on a private matter, and Carly says she and Sonny are discussing the kids. She tells Sonny that Avery is welcome to be there with Donna any day, and Sonny says he has to take care of something, showing her the papers. Ava thinks she deserves to have sole custody of Avery. Carly says she’s happy she doesn’t have to wade into this mess, but he tells her that she might be called to testify because they share custody of Avery’s sister. He needs to know what she’s going to tell the judge about his suitability as a parent.

Sonny says he knows he and Carly have had their problems. He wants to know she’s not going to say he’s a terrible father. She says, it’s no secret they’ve had their issues – he says he’s sorry – but if she’s going to walk in a courtroom and trash anyone, it’s going to be Ava. He says, that’s not what he wanted to hear, but he’ll take it. He heads for the door, but then asks if Jason and his FBI buddy found anything on him.

Sasha asks if Cody is leaving, but he says he told her that he wanted to leave. It would be easier to just disappear, but no. Maxie made him promise he wouldn’t leave, but she’s not the reason he’s not leaving. Sasha is. At least for now. He moves closer, but she stops him and says, he has to stop doing this. He wants a connection with someone, but every time he gets close, he thinks of a reason to bolt. They’re building something. She kisses him and says, he can’t go. If he does, he’ll have a lot more than Maxie to worry about. She’ll hide Tracy’s secret cash box and say he took it. Tracy will have anyone with eyes and a badge looking for him. He says, Tracy has a secret cash box? and she says, not a very well-kept secret. Promise her he won’t go. He hesitates, and she says, how about this. He talks to her first if he decides to go. He says he can do that, and she says she should get back to the house, and leaves.

Ava goes to see Clemont the pharmacist, and he says he has a staff meeting in 15 minutes. He’s going to have to ask her to leave. She says she can sit in. She’s sure his staff will find it fascinating the way he refills Sonny’s bipolar medication. He says he knows she’s not Sonny’s wife. He doesn’t even have a wife. She says, give him time, but it doesn’t matter. She knows he’s been filling Sonny’s prescription with less than a quarter dose and thinks that’s frowned upon in his profession. She’s sure he has his reasons and doesn’t care what they are, but she cares about Sonny’s dosage. He says he’ll change it back to the proper dosage, but she says, he’ll change it to zero. He says, she wants him to give Sonny placebos? and she says she does. Unless he wants Sonny to know what he’s been doing, he’ll do what she wants. He says, it’s dangerous, but she says she’s willing to take that risk.

Drew (who now looks like a creeper) says, they kissed and regretted it and agreed it won’t happen again, and Willow says, absolutely not. He says, the worst thing they can do is dwell on it and let it interfere with their friendship and working together. She tells him that she doesn’t want to compromise her and Michael’s happiness for any reason, and he suggests they put it behind them. It won’t feel as big of a deal in the future. They probably won’t remember it in a year. Michael comes in and says he knew he smelled beignets.

Michael wants to talk to Drew about the wellness division, particularly the budget for Curtis. Willow says, the conversation sounds too exciting for her, and goes out on the patio.

Felicia says, maybe Cody is just mistaken about the DNA results, but Maxie says, they’re pretty conclusive. There’s no real room for interpretation. Felicia says her results were zero, when there’s a knock at the door. It’s Sasha, who asks if it’s a bad time, but Maxie says, no. Sasha says she’s sorry to come by without calling, but this is important. She knows Cody is Mac’s son. If they’re mad at Cody, they should be mad at her too. Cody told her the results months ago.

Clemont says he understands, and he’ll take care of it, and Ava says she knew she could count on him. She asks if anyone’s been asking about her, but he says, no. She says, if anyone does, tell them she was here for a consultation. Make it believable. She hopes he doesn’t do anything to make her come back. She leaves and Clemont looks pretty nervous.

Jason says he’s not working against Sonny, and Sonny says he hopes it stays that way. He’ll be back to pick up Avery. He leaves, and Carly says, he’s not wrong. Jason is working with Cates. Jason says, it’s not to take Sonny down, and Carly suggests he tell Sonny that the only reason he’s working with Cates is to protect her.

Michael and Drew go over the budget, and Michael says he assumes Drew is going to be campaigning to take advantage of the momentum. Drew says he was thinking about that, and Michael says, before he starts shaking hands and kissing babies, did Willow seem off to him?

Willow goes to the stable and asks if Cody is good with her being here. She was wondering how the horses were doing after the fireworks. Cody says, they’re fine. He kept the lights on and gave them extra hay. Some people say you should play classical music to soothe them, but these guys are metalheads. She flashes back to kissing Drew, and says, fireworks are beautiful, but kind of disorienting. You get so distracted, you kind of lose your bearings. (Okay. If you say so, Willow.)

Sasha says she knew Cody lied about the DNA test and that Mac was Cody’s biological father, but it didn’t feel like her secret to tell. Felicia asks how Sasha can be so sure. Her tests results came back negative, and Sasha was there when she told Cody. Sasha says she was also there at the Home & Heart set, when Felicia ordered the DNA test. She saw Felicia take hair from Cody’s brush and she replaced it with her own.

Carly asks why Jason can’t tell Sonny the truth, and Jason says, if Sonny finds out Cates is threatening him, who knows what he’ll do? She agrees, especially with how volatile Sonny’s been, and he asks about the meds. Carly says she checked. He’s taking them. Despite all his faults, he’s always been disciplined with his medication. Jason says, something is off, and she says she agrees, but just now, Sonny seemed like his old self. It was a relief. It seemed like the old Sonny was still in there. Jason says, until he walked in, and she says, that’s when the Sonny she doesn’t recognize showed up. He says he can’t tell Sonny the truth. Not yet. What if he goes after Cates again and kills him?

Holding an ice bucket, Ava opens her door, and Sonny is there. He asks what this garbage is. Is she alleging he’s emotionally unstable? She says she’s not talking to him like this and asks if she should call security. He says he took a page out of her book, and puts his phone on record. Just in case something is misinterpreted later on. Don’t do it.

Willow and Cody have coffee, and she says, he should have come up to the house last night, but he says he wanted to make sure the horses were okay. Did he miss a good time? She says, he was in better company, but people are upbeat about Drew running for congress. Even Tracy is on board. He asks if Willow is going to campaign for him, but she says she’s not a savvy campaigner. He says, she was a teacher, and she says she taught children, not town meetings full of would-be voters. He says, children are people too. If Drew is running as a Quartermaine, it might help if the Quartermaines supported him. Get the family involved. Aside from the kids, Willow is one of the more appealing family members.

Sasha tells Felicia and Maxie, Cody has been wrestling with this decision to tell Mac. She thought, if he had more time, he would get there, so she switched the samples to buy him more time, but she hated lying to them. Please believe that. Felicia says she does, and Maxie says she doesn’t understand. Mac’s a great guy. Sasha says, Cody knows that, but has an issue with not being good enough. He’ll have to tell them the rest. She owed them an explanation and apology. Maxie says she accepts and so does her mom. Felicia says, they appreciate her honesty, and Sasha asks, what happens next? Felicia says, it could turn out to be a good thing for Cody and Mac, and Sasha agrees, but says, Cody told her Mac was really angry and hurt. Felicia says, he was, and it will take time for him to trust Cody again. Sasha says she was trying to help, but by delaying the inevitable, she just made things worse.  

Sonny says, no wonder Scotty is the only lawyer Ava could get, and she says, it’s the strength of the case that matters, not the strength of the lawyers. He asks if that’s what her slip-and-fall guy told her, and she says, defenseless mothers seem to do well in family court. He asks if she’s going to have a stand-in, because that’s something she’s not, and she says, he’ll look good in court unless somebody says something he doesn’t like or looks at him funny. Then all bets are off. He says, Diane can find 20 witnesses to say she’s an unfit mother, and she asks if he thinks his reputation is off limits. What judge is going to give custody of an innocent child to a notorious mobster who used to run a strip club?

Maxie tells Sasha not to be so hard on herself, and Sasha says she doesn’t know what to do. Cody is devastated and talking about leaving Port Charles. Maxie says she made him promise he wouldn’t, and Sasha says, so did she. Maxie says, Cody’s promise to Sasha carries more weight, although she threatened him and she’s more dangerous. Sasha says, not really, and Maxie says, Sasha is so sweet, Sasha could be related to her mom. For all they know, maybe she is. Felicia says she would know. Mac is devastated too, but neither one of them is going to approach the other. It seems like they share the same stubborn gene. Maxie asks what they’re going to do about it.

Cody tells Willow that he likes all the Quartermaines, but some of them are more approachable than others. Can she picture Tracy on the campaign trail? Willow says, not so much, and he says, all kidding aside, he thinks Drew should run as part of a family, because that’s the dream. To be surrounded by people that love and care for you and want the best for you. Sometimes when you don’t deserve it. She says, he’s right about being part of a family. The Quartermaines have done that for her, especially Michael. He’s given her everything.

Drew asks what Michael means by Willow being off. Did she say she wasn’t feeling well, because she seemed fine to him. Michael says, nothing like that, but Willow doesn’t always tell him. She just muscles through. Maybe he’s being oversensitive, but whenever she comes down with something, he gets worried that the cancer came back. Drew says, that’s a normal human reaction. Michael witnessed the person he loves going through a terrible disease and has to give himself a break. Michael says, last night, she was tossing and turning, and he doubts she got an hour’s sleep. Drew says, maybe she just had a tough time winding down, and Michael says, he’s right. It was a big day. If Drew says she seems fine, he’ll stop worrying. It’s probably nothing. He leaves.

Jason asks, what happens to Donna and Avery if Sonny’s in prison for killing a federal agent? and Carly says, especially since there’s a possibility of her going to prison, but he says, that’s not going to happen. He’s not going to let it happen. She says she knows he believes that, and if anyone could stop it from happening, it’s him, but it may not be up to him. Or the moss bowl🎍.

Ava says she’s glad Sonny is recording this. Keep talking. Howl at the moon for all she cares. Then go home and listen to himself and judge how suitable he sounds as a parent. He says he’s not going anywhere, when Cates is suddenly at the door, and asks, is there a problem here?

Tomorrow, Ava proposes a deal with John; Heather makes a plea to Laura; and Portia tells Jordan her plan.

Real Housewives of Dubai Season 2, Episode 6 Recap: Shut Up and Burn

🌆 LA Is Back…

As usual, there were fabulous houses with views to die for that all our combined incomes could never afford. The market in LA wasn’t great, and the Joshes were at odds over a co-listing, while Tracy tried to bridge the gap with them. JoshA listed a 7200 square foot house at 9000 square feet to get more eyeballs on it, since it had been on the market for 18 months. He played fast and loose with the definition of living space, saying the extra footage was a concrete area that could be a living space. It seemed shady to me, but so do a lot of things in real estate. JoshA appeared on Days of Our Lives as an aggressive businessman with an affinity for cocaine. They thought he resembled his character in real life – an arrogant a-hole – and he was asked back. I tried watching Days for a while, but I just don’t have the time for another soap. They showed clips though, and I’m hoping they have his scenes on YouTube.

What I Watched Today

General Hospital

Ava walks into the gallery and Nikolas says, good morning. She says, not anymore, it isn’t, and he asks if she’s sent out the invites to her little party yet. She says, nope, and he says, they agreed she’d throw a party and invite Esme. Ava says, Esme’s partying days are over. At least for now. She’s in jail. You’re welcome.

Spencer meets Esme in the interrogation room, and she asks if Ace is okay. Did he miss her? Did he sleep? Spencer says, Ace is okay. Of course (🍷) he missed her, but they were able to keep him preoccupied until he fell asleep. He’s comfortable at Laura’s place. After all, it was his first home. She says she doesn’t want him upset, but he says, it seems like she’s the one who’s upset right now. Did she sleep? She says, of course (🍷) not. She was too keyed up about the hearing today. He says he gets it. Facing prison time is frightening. She says, of course (🍷) he gets it; he’s done this himself. She’s not worried so much about her. She’s just worried about what will happen to her son.

Portia is snoozing with her head on Curtis’s hospital bed, when Curtis wakes up. He asks how he did, and she says, flying colors. One for the record books. Stella comes in with coffee and says, look who’s up… again. Curtis says he was up before? and Stella says, yes, and he promised to buy her a new car. He says he has no recollection of that, and Portia says, nice try. He’s been in and out, but that’s to be expected, and he seems fully conscious now. He says he’s slept enough and he’s ready to take on the day. Stella says, time to spread the good news.

Josslyn asks where Trina is off to, and Trina says, GH to see about Curtis. Is she okay? What’s going on? Josslyn says she’s just second-guessing herself. She told the RA about Adam. He was just so drunk on New Year’s Eve and so upset about his parents possibly pulling him out of PCU. She just wants to help. Trina says, Josslyn doesn’t have to justify it to her. Josslyn says, Dex thinks Adam’s emotional problems are too big for her to handle by herself. She agrees, but she still feels like she ratted him out. Trina’s phone rings, and she asks Stella if everything is okay… Really?… Okay. She’s on her way. Josslyn asks, is everything okay? and Trina says, everything’s great. Curtis is awake.

Diane meets Robert at the PC Grill, and he says he’s so sorry about last night, but she says she completely understands. She’s just curious as to who or what was enticing enough to lure him away from what would have been a wonderful evening. He says, Sonny Corinthos.

Sonny and Dex walk into Sonny’s office at Pozzulo’s, and Sonny says, anything? Frank says, crib’s clean, and runs a device over Dex. Dex asks, what’s wrong? Did they find a bug? Sonny says he’s just being careful, and Frank says, he’s clean. Frank leaves, and Sonny says, he and Dex need to have a conversation. Once they do, it does not leave this office. They sit down, and Dex says, understood. Sonny says he needs Dex to do something important for him. It’s sort of a crucial test, and once Dex does this for him, there’s no looking back.

Josslyn hugs Trina and says she’s so glad Curtis is awake. Trina must be so relieved. Trina says, Josslyn has no idea. Is she going to be okay, or does she need to talk some more? Josslyn says she’s good. Go see Curtis… Trina’s dad she means. Trina laughs and says, that’s okay. She trips up all the time. (Hey, what happened to Taggert anyway?) Trina tells Josslyn not to beat herself up for talking to Kylie. Adam is really lucky to have a friend who cares so much. Josslyn says, thanks, and Trina opens the door. Adam is there, and she says she was just on her way out. She leaves, and Josslyn invites Adam in. He says he was surprised to get her text. He figured after New Year’s, she wouldn’t want to talk to him again. He was wrecked. It turns out frat parties aren’t his vibe. She says she was really worried about him. Has he heard from his parents, or have they said anything more about him leaving school? He says, they really want him back home, but he’d rather be anywhere but there. She says she knows problems with parents can be tough, but they’re not insurmountable. He says he gets that she’s being kind and tactful. He knows he should stand up for himself, but he’s just not strong enough.

Deanna tells Curtis that everything looks good. Just buzz if he needs anything. They all thank her, she says, of course (🍷), and leaves. Portia says, Dr. Martel came by earlier and should be back a little bit later, but he said the surgery went very well. No surprises, no complications, and he says it’s looking very positive. Curtis says, that’s good to hear. Now they just wait for the swelling to go down and maybe he can dunk a ball again. Stella says, big talk. She’s glad she’s here and not TJ. She knows he’d have something to say about that. Does Curtis want them to call his dad and tell him that he’s awake? Portia says, they probably should, right? but Curtis says, not if it means waking him up. Let him rest. Portia should get some rest too. Portia says she’s fine. She’s fresh as a daisy. He says, and twice as beautiful.

Esme asks if Spencer saw Ace this morning. She normally feeds him and gets him ready for daycare. Spencer says he fed Ace, and she says, he’s going to be so confused. His whole schedule is off. Spencer says, he’s fine, but she says, he won’t be if she disappears from his life. Growing up without a mother is awful. Isn’t that what Spencer told her? He says, Ace isn’t growing up without her. He’s not. She’s a good mother. She says, does he really mean that? and he says, yes, but he’s got to ask. Why would she sacrifice his safety and security so she could break into Windymere of all places? Why did she go there on Christmas?

Nikolas says, why insist on pressing charges against Esme? and Ava says, because the opportunity to right a wrong presented itself. Esme should already be serving a very long sentence for what she did to Trina and to Josslyn and to Cameron. In an hour, she’s going down to the courthouse and watch their judicial system in action. He says, so Esme’s hearing is today, and she say she wishes she could bring popcorn. Nikolas suddenly jets, and Nina calls Ava’s name. She comes in the back way and asks if Ava is with a customer. She thought she heard her talking to someone. Ava says she was on the phone. She’s been trying to reach Nina. What happened after New Year’s Eve? How did Sonny find out it was her who went to the SEC? Nina says, Sonny told Ava, but Ava says, he hasn’t said a word, and she thought it best to just stay out of his way. When Sonny feels betrayed, he’s downright dangerous.

Sonny says, Dex is aware of his legal troubles. Cyrus brought cops into a situation that should just have been between them. He seriously miscalculated. Dex says, in what way? and Sonny says, the only thing Dex needs to know is, things are going to change around here. He needs to go back to focusing on the business. He hasn’t been doing that lately. Cyrus was released from prison, and now he’s causing trouble – again. Dex asks if Sonny wants to suspend business until after his trial, but Sonny says, there’s not going to be a trial. That’s where Dex comes in. Dex has to take care of Cyrus for him. Dex says, to keep him from testifying? Does Sonny want him to scare Cyrus? Sonny says, to death.

Josslyn hands Adam something to drink, and he says, thanks, but she didn’t ask him over here to check his hydration, did she? She says, he’s right. She didn’t. And what he said about not being strong enough to talk to his parents? She thinks he can. He needs to tell them what’s going on with him. But when she said that he should talk to someone, she didn’t mean just her. There’s a knock at the door, and she says she went to someone for help. She opens the door to RA Kylie, and Adam says, she’s a snitch.

Nina says she’s guessing Sonny doesn’t know that Ava’s the one who encouraged her to turn in Carly and Drew, and Ava says, what? They’ve been over this. She did not encourage Nina and Nina knows it. She was just calling Nina’s bluff to make her see reason. She wasn’t supposed to actually go through with it, which Nina did without her knowledge and involvement. But Sonny doesn’t know she knew it was Nina. She doesn’t think she’d be staying at his penthouse if he did. She and Sonny have reached a place where they can almost trust each other for Avery’s sake. Nina says, don’t worry. She’s not going to put Ava in the middle of this. She’s afraid Sonny hates her now and she’s just going to have to deal with it on her own. Ava says she doesn’t think Sonny hates Nina. He just goes to a dark place when he’s hurt. And you know what they say; hurt people hurt people. Nina says her earth shattered when Sonny slammed the door in her face, and Ava says she’s sure it was painful, but she’s talking about Cyrus Renault. Nina says, what about him? and Ava says, she doesn’t know? Cyrus is in the hospital. Sonny beat him almost to death.

Trina says she’s so happy to see Curtis and runs to the bed to hug him. He says he’s happy for the same, and she says, how is he? How is he feeling? He’s not in any pain, right? He says, no. Her beautiful mom and his doctor have his pain management under control. Enough about him. How about her? She’s back in school. Did she get the classes she wanted? Portia says, that and then some, and Trina gives her a look. Curtis says, okay, what did he miss? and Trina says she was accepted to study at the Sorbonne for a semester abroad. He says, that’s great. Paris, that’s wonderful, the Louvre, all the artwork. She’s going to be in heaven. Plus, Paris is beautiful in the fall. She says, the thing is, she was accepted to study for the spring semester, and he says, as in this spring? Why hasn’t she said anything? She says she found out over the holidays and thought she wasn’t going to go. Portia says, it’s just such a wonderful opportunity, and Stella says, the chance of a lifetime. Curtis says, it absolutely is. Why wouldn’t she? Trina says she just thought that right now wouldn’t be the right moment to be so far away, and he says, for him? She says, if he’d rather she stay, she totally understands. She wants to. He asks if Portia and Stella mind if he talks to his child, Stella says, absolutely, and she and Portia leave.

Spencer tells Esme, look at that. Coffee, something to eat. He puts it in front of her and says, the coffee’s terrible though. She says she’ll take the terrible coffee. She’s not hungry. She pushes the plate aside, and he says, she should eat something. She has a big day ahead of her. He sits down and asks if she’s going to tell him what she was thinking; why she broke into Windymere. She says she was lonely. They had Ace and she was confused about her life. Windymere was the last place she was before she lost her memory. He says, it sounds to him like she went looking for her old memories, and she says, so she can be the most hated person in Port Charles again? Sure. Why doesn’t she go back to a time when everyone was against her? He says, that’s really interesting because the old Esme had a persecution complex as well. Maybe she’s closer to her than she thinks. She says she doesn’t have to imagine much. Everyone has already told her how terrible the old Esme was. You know what they say about first impressions. Her first impression of her former self has been a lasting one. She really wants to be a good person, but he has no idea how hard it is. He says he gets it. He knows what it’s like to have people judge you for your past actions, but the bottom line is, he doesn’t want her to go to prison. He thinks that Ace is going to be a lot happier if she doesn’t go away. She asks if he’ll bring Ace to the courthouse. She already misses him so much. She needs to see her baby. Please. Will he do that for her?

In the hallway, Portia asks Stella if she just blew it, bringing up that news about Trina. He just woke up from his surgery… Stella says, take a breath. She wanted to give him some good news and this is good news. Portia says, it is good news, but she’s tired. She’s really not thinking straight. She just should have waited, that’s all. Stella says, it’s no wonder. They’ve all gone home to sleep, and she’s been by Curtis’s side since he went into surgery. She has to take care of herself. Curtis still has a long road ahead of him, and he’s going to need her to support him.

Curtis asks if Trina has accepted yet, and she says, not yet, but the deadline is approaching. She knows he’s going to tell her to go, but when she thinks about not being here when he gets back on his feet… He says, there’s no guarantee he will walk again, but she says she has faith. He’s one of the strongest people she knows, and she knows he’s going to do anything to get back on his feet. He says, whether he does or doesn’t, it’s not helping if she passes on this amazing opportunity. She should go. He’ll be here when she gets back. Not right here, but he’ll be here. Who knows? Maybe he’ll be on his feet in time to see her there in Paris. Unless he’d be cramping her style. Because he doesn’t want to interfere with her solo adventure. She says, actually, she won’t be solo. Spencer’s coming with her.

Nina asks if Cyrus went to Sonny, but Ava says she thinks it was a case of wrong place, wrong time. Sonny found out about Nina, he went to the church, and Cyrus showed up and said something that triggered him, and Sonny lost it. Nina says, at the church? It was Cyrus who told Sonny that she was the one who tipped off the SEC. Ava asks, how the hell did Cyrus know? and Nina says, because she was in church. She was confessing her sins to a priest, but it wasn’t a priest. It was Cyrus Renault. He knows everything. Ava says, he knew before Sonny knew. She can see why that might push Sonny over the edge. Nina says, bragging to Sonny when Sonny was at his lowest, he deserved whatever happened to him. At least now Cyrus doesn’t have anything that he’s holding over either one of them. Ava says, Cyrus went to the cops. Sonny is facing assault charges. Nina says, he was arrested? and Ava says, he’s out now, but he’s going to have to go to trial. Nina says, Diane will get him off, right? and Ava says, Diane is a very good lawyer, but Cyrus hates Sonny. He’s not going to let this go. And the PCPD has been trying to put Sonny behind bars for decades. They’re not going to miss this chance.

Diane says, Robert doesn’t want to appear overconfident. That’s going to make it all the more disappointing when her client walks, yet again. Robert says, these charges aren’t business as usual. Whatever it was that set Sonny off, he almost killed a man with his bare hands. He’s simply here to see that Sonny pays for it. She says, he’s unusually and unprofessionally gleeful about this, but she is a professional, so she’ll remind him that her client is innocent until proven guilty. This community loves Sonny Corinthos, an exceptional businessman, a wonderful father. Cyrus Renault on the other hand, is a career criminal with a rap sheet that stretches across Texas. She doesn’t know why he’s bothering to bring this to trial. Who’s the more credible witness here? He says, Cyrus Renault, he’s a criminal. Then again, so is Sonny. Diane says, well… and Robert says, the thing is, they now have DNA that puts Sonny at the scene of the crime, which is actually going to put him away, and there’s not a thing she can do about that.

Sonny says, Dex has always come through for him when he’s asked. Dex has proven his loyalty. Sonny thinks there’s just one final step. Dex does this for him, they’ll always have his back. He won’t have to ask for anything. He’ll always be there for Dex. Cyrus is an old man. Nobody’s going to be surprised when his heart gives out on him. Dex says he guesses that makes sense, and Sonny asks what he means. Does he have something on his mind? Dex says, it’s not his place, and Sonny says, it’s not, but it’s a big ask. So if Dex has something on his mind, go ahead and spit it out. Dex says, killing Cyrus Renault gets rid of the man, but it doesn’t necessarily get rid of the charges against Sonny. The DA might even up the charges from assault to manslaughter, saying that Renault died as a result of his injuries. Sonny says, Robert Scorpio can do whatever he wants, but his case is going to fall apart if Cyrus isn’t there. Nobody saw him at All Saints. There are no witnesses to testify against him. There are no cameras in the church. He wants to send a message – nobody crosses Sonny Corinthos. He wants people to remember that. Dex says he’s sure they will, but he’s concerned about Sonny. There’s DNA. He wasn’t wearing gloves; his knuckles are proof. Sonny says, that’s what he pays Diane for, because she can discredit any DNA evidence if she has to. Dex gets up, and Sonny asks if he’s satisfied, or does he have something else? Dex looks at Sonny and Sonny says, disappointing. He gets up and says, if he can’t ask Dex to do something for him, that means Dex doesn’t trust him, which means he can’t rely on Dex. He told Dex from the beginning that he needs loyal men by his side. Is he loyal or not?

Curtis says, Spencer cares a great deal about Trina. He’s going to give her his two cents. Spend it how she likes. He thinks Paris should be about her. It should be about figuring out who she is, and the woman she wants to become. It’s only a semester, right? And Spencer will be here when she gets back. Won’t he?

Spencer tells Esme, don’t worry. He’ll bring Ace to the courthouse. She thanks him and says she still doesn’t know what she’s going to do. Ava’s intent on throwing the book at her for what she supposedly did to Trina. He says, supposedly? and she says she doesn’t remember any of it. She’s not denying the things people have said the old Esme has done, but to go to jail for something she doesn’t remember doing, when she’s no longer that person? Even Trina didn’t want that. He says, that’s correct. Trina convinced them all that it wasn’t fair and that’s why Esme wasn’t charged. Esme says, and Trina said she did it for Ace, and she appreciates that, but Ava doesn’t see it that way. Why can’t she just let it go? Spencer says, Esme broke into Ava’s home and actions have consequences, and she tells him, says the person who’s skirted consequences his entire life. He says, she remembers, doesn’t she?

Adam says he can’t believe Josslyn would do this to him. How can she get him in trouble like this? She says she was just trying to get him some help, and Kylie says, he’s not in trouble. Josslyn did the right thing coming to her. It’s okay. They want to help him. Adam tells Josslyn that she had no right to say anything, but she says she knows he’s unhappy. All he does is study and push himself. He barely even goes out. He says, that’s because it’s all he’s got, okay? Or that he had. Kylie says, school can be a lot of pressure, and Josslyn’s just being a friend. She’s already spoken to Health Services, and someone can speak to him today. The counselor sent a form to his student portal. He asks why she’d do that. His parents are going to see it.

Nina tells Ava that Sonny could go to prison because of her. It’s all her fault. Does she know where he is? Ava says, in his office maybe? and Nina says she has to help him. She has to do something. Ava says, no. She doesn’t think Sonny wants Nina’s help right now. Nina says, he’s still her husband and she loves him. She has to try. Ava says, okay. Good luck. Call me. Nina leaves, and Nikolas comes back in. He says, so Sonny’s not so untouchable after all. It’s about time that sanctimonious hypocrite was taken down a peg or two. Ava says, he’s still here, huh? and he says, so Esme’s hearing is definitely today? She says, uh-huh, and he says he supposes his mother and Spencer will be there. She says, that’s very likely. Like she said, you’re welcome. He says, what for? and she says, once Esme is behind bars, he won’t have to worry about sweet little Ace. He’ll be safe and sound with Laura. He says, then he guesses this is goodbye.

Diane says, Robert wouldn’t be the first public servant to get giddy at the thought of taking down Sonny Corinthos. So allow her to point out a few things that others have learned at great cost. He says, that sounds like a threat, but she says, don’t be silly. She’s simply observing that if he were to bring this to trial, the defendant is going to be far more appealing than the alleged victim. Does he even think he can impanel twelve jurors who will find Cyrus Renault more credible than Sonny Corinthos? Even if he was able to prove that Sonny attacked Cyrus, no one’s going to shed any tears at the fact that Cyrus finally got a taste of his own medicine. Robert asks if there’s nothing to be said for redemption here, and she laughs. He says, Cyrus Renault is now a man of God, beaten within an inch of his life in a church. What does she think the jury’s going to make of that?

Dex says he is loyal to Sonny. It’s his job to protect Sonny and protect his interests. And that includes speaking up when he sees potential problems. Sonny says he knows. He hears what Dex is saying, but this is something Dex needs to know. He’s going to make this happen and he thought Dex was up to the job. It’s just a shame Dex is going to fall short of his expectations, but it’s better he’s hearing about this now than hearing about it later. So let’s just erase any doubts we have here. Is Dex with him?

Adam says, his parents will go crazy if they think he’s out partying. They’ll think he has a drinking problem. Kylie says, no. His student portal is confidential. He says, she doesn’t get it. His parents forced him to give them his password when they found out he lied about having an internship. Kylie says she’s sure the counselor will be willing to talk to his parents. Don’t worry. Everything will be confidential. There are so many students going through tough times these days. It’s not that uncommon. Josslyn says, please, just listen to Kylie. She thinks talking to the counselor is a good idea, and it could really help him. She’ll even go with him if he wants. Kylie says, they can go over to Health Services right now, and Josslyn says, come on, Adam, please.

Ava says, goodbye? and Nikolas says, it’s time for him to leave Port Charles. He’s a wanted man. He held Esme captive and it’s too soon to make almonds amends with Spencer and his mother. He doesn’t have a place in Port Charles right now. She asks if he’ll be back, and he says he’s not sure as to when. She guesses this is goodbye then, and he turns to leave, but she calls him back. She says she’s really glad she didn’t kill him, and he tells her that she says the sweetest things. He touches her face and tells her to take care of herself. She says, him too, and he leaves.

Sonny says, Dex told him that he wanted to advance. He said he wanted to do something for the organization. The way he sees it, this is how Dex does it. Dex says he agrees that Cyrus is dangerous, and Sonny says he has no doubt that Cyrus is going to come after the people closest to him. His kids, his grandkids, Sasha, Carly – he puts his hand on Dex’s shoulder – Josslyn. They’re all in danger and he doesn’t want them to live like this forever. Dex says, what about Mrs. Corinthos? Is she being protected? Sonny says he will deal with Nina. Dex deals with Cyrus. Dex asks when Sonny wants him to do it, and Sonny says, immediately. Cyrus is weak. He’s exposed. Anything can happen in a hospital. Dex says, okay. How do they make that happen?

Portia and Stella go back into Curtis’s room, and Curtis asks if Trina is going to the hearing. Portia says, Trina told him about Esme breaking into Windymere, and he says, he’s guessing she’s sitting with Ava. Trina says she thought about it, but she wanted to be here with him. He says, don’t worry about him. He’s not going anywhere. Besides, she needs to see this through. This could mean Esme’s finally out of her life. He’s glad Ava pressed charges. Trina says, her too, and he asks what Esme was doing at Windymere anyway. It just seems strange. Trina says, no clue, and Stella says she still doesn’t trust her. Trina says, neither does she, but she does feel bad for Ace. If Esme goes to prison, he’ll have no parents.

Spencer asks if Esme is starting to remember, but she says, no. She’s just going off everything she’s learned of his past from Laura and Doc. An officer tells Esme that her lawyer’s here. He’ll take her back to get dressed for court. She thanks him and says, Spencer is still bringing Ace to court, right? He says he is, and she thanks him for coming. She says, I really need you on my side, Spence, and leaves, and he flashes back to her calling him Spence, and saying, he’s even more pathetic than when she first met him. He says, Spence.

Trina leaves, and Portia asks if she told Curtis everything about Paris. He says, she did, and Portia says, he knows she doesn’t like the idea of Spencer going to Paris with Trina. He says, neither does he, but hopefully, they won’t have to worry about that. Stella says, why is that? and Curtis says, if Esme goes to prison, Spencer’s not going to want his brother to be alone. He’s going to stay right here in Port Charles and raise Ace. Portia says, fingers crossed.

Robert says, Diane hasn’t touched her food. She doesn’t like it? She says, no. She just seems to have lost her appetite. Clearly, Robert doesn’t want to litigate this case on its merits. He’s just someone else who wants to take down Sonny. He says, anything at all to rid this town of Corinthos. Although he will miss Sonny’s coffee. She folds her arms, and he says, come on. Think of all the extra time she’ll have on her hands now that her biggest client is going away for the rest of his life. Whatever will she do? She says, oh golly. She’s sure she can find someone or something to keep her busy. She gets up and says, she’ll tell him this though, she won’t be busy with him. She walks out and he looks perplexed.

In his office, Sonny looks at his bruised knuckles, then puts the picture of Nina on his desk face down. There’s a knock at the door, and he says, come in. Frank brings him the mail and asks if there’s anything else he can get Sonny. Sonny says, no. He thinks he’s got everything under control.

At the hospital, Dex makes a call and says, come on, Joss, pick up.

Josslyn ignores Dex’s call, and Adam says he’s not going to Health Services, and they can’t make him. This is none of their business. Josslyn asks him to just please calm down, but he says she doesn’t want to hear this. Both of them, just leave him alone. And take the damn counselor off his portal. He storms out, and Josslyn asks Kylie, now what?

Leaving a message, Dex says, Josslyn doesn’t have to call him back. he just wanted to hear her voice and tell her how important she is to him. And let her know that no matter what happens with them, he loves her, and he always will. He sees a text from Unknown that says: Room 1002. He says, gotta go, and walks down the hall, noticing Nina at the reception desk.

Nina asks what room Cyrus Renault is in, as Dex listens from around the corner.

Spencer tells the sitter to enjoy the rest of her day. He’ll be taking Ace to see his mother in court. She thanks him and says she hopes everything works out for him. He says he’s sure it will, and she leaves. He says, one way or another, and flashes back to Esme saying, no deal, Spence. He says, she was lying. She remembers everything. There’s a knock at the door and he opens it. Nikolas is there.

On Monday, Ava asks Laura why she would do that; Kristina says, this is exactly where she needs to be right now; Nina says, if Cyrus is truly sorry, prove it; and the judge asks how Esme pleads.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

My bad. I swear I read the soaps weren’t on Monday, and since most people were off Monday, it made sense. Oops. So here’s a quick(er) recap of yesterday’s GH. Tomorrow, we’ll be back to our regularly scheduled more information than you need.

General Hospital

Sam goes to see Carly and the moss bowl🎍. Sam tells Carly about Drew having to say goodbye to Scout, then having to console Scout afterward. Scout’s devastated. She lost her dad once, and now she did again.

Drew drops by Sonny’s penthouse, and tells him that he’s leaving for Pentenville today. Sonny wonders why he’s here instead of with his family, and Drew says, unfinished business.

Dante stops by Mac’s office, and Mac says, something interesting crossed his desk that he thinks Dante should see.

Sasha has an appointment with Dr. Montague, and Gladys tells her not to push herself too hard. Gladys knows she wants to end the guardianship, but she can’t rush mental health. Sasha says she just got an email from Gelhorn Jewelers. They’ve dropped the larceny charges against Cody. Gladys is sure they have their reasons, and Sasha has the feeling Gladys knows what they are.

At the pool, Scotty asks Cody to sign an affidavit so they can do business with the WSB. He has the feeling they’re going to play hardball. Cody asks if he’s going to be investigated, and Scotty tells him that the S in WSB stands for Security. Is that going to be a problem?

Michael tells Willow that Dr. Randolph isn’t meeting with them today, but sending someone familiar with the case. They have to believe it’s good news. TJ comes in and asks how Willow is feeling. She says anxious, and asks if he has the results. He says he asked Terry if he could deliver the news; it’s life changing. As a friend, he felt it might be better coming from him. From all accounts, the bone marrow transplant was a success.

Mac tells Dante that Gelhorn Jewelers dropped the charges against Cody after determining the clasp on Glady’s bracelet was faulty. A witness came forward. Dante reads that a waiter discovered the bracelet on the floor, and thought it belonged to the jacket above it. That’s weird. Mac says the waiter slipped the bracelet into Cody’s pocket, leading him to slip handcuffs on Cody. He imagined himself Cody’s father, not his arresting officer. Dante flashes back to finding out Mac is Cody’s father, and Mac says he wants to deliver the news himself.

Cody tells Scotty that the charges about the bracelet won’t stick. All it cost him was a new friend.

Sasha says, Gladys didn’t seem surprised or upset, and Gladys explains about the waiter finding the bracelet and putting it in Cody’s pocket. Sasha asks if Gladys is ready to admit the truth that she was wrong about Cody.

Drew tells Sonny that he’s said most of his goodbyes, and spent time with Scout. At least it’s not forever. Drew brought a guitar with him for Ned/Eddie. He’s hoping Ned’s favorite guitar will help bring back some memories. Sonny says, Ned took off, but he’s got his eye on Ned, and he’s not the only one.

Carly asks Sam to be honest about how she feels, and Sam says she’s unhappy and pretty angry. She wishes Drew would have made a different choice, and Carly says she does too. Sam says, Drew deserves peace and happiness, and sacrificed it again because of Carly. Carly doesn’t blame Sam for feeling the way she does, and wants to fix it for Drew, and Sam says, but Drew wants to fix it for Carly, which speaks volumes about how much he cares.

Sonny says he knows Drew was made an offer to flip on him. Drew could have given them damaging information and didn’t. Drew says, Carly would never turn Sonny in and neither would he. Besides it’s his debt to pay. Sonny says he’s not going to forget what Drew did for him and Carly. He has eyes in Pentenville who will look out for Drew. Drew says he appreciates it, but doesn’t think he’ll need it. Sonny tells him, keep your eyes open and your chin up.

Gladys says she was wrong about Cody, but he was wrong about her too. She’s not some diabolical mother-in-law. Sasha asks why Gladys didn’t tell her before she got the email, and Gladys says she didn’t want to distract Sasha before her appointment. She also thought Sasha would be angry because she’d blamed Sasha’s friend, but Sasha says, it was just a big misunderstanding. But the person Gladys should apologize to is Cody. Dr. Montague is ready for Sasha, and Gladys says she hopes she didn’t cause problems for Sasha and Cody, but Sasha says, there is no her and Cody.

Scotty says, after Cody signs the affidavit, he’ll have plenty of friends, and they’ll all look like Benjamin Franklin. It should prove he’s Leopold Taub’s son. Taub had no living relatives, so no one is going to contest it. This, and his birth certificate, will do the trick, unless the WSB decides to exhume Taub’s body. Can Cody cry on cue? The WSB were stupid and careless in losing the necklace, and Cody will suffer when they dig up dear old dad. They should push for it. Cody says, please don’t.

TJ says, they need six months to a year to know if Willow is for sure in remission, but they’re encouraged; there are no visible leukemia cells in the blood or bone. Willow can go home. Her immune system is still compromised, so they’ll have to make consideration for that. Willow wonders if it’s a dream, but TJ says, once she gets her meds and instructions, she can go home. Michael says he doesn’t think it’s a good idea. The gatehouse isn’t ready. Willow suggests they stay somewhere else temporarily, but Michael wonders if it’s safe. The kids carry germs; they can’t risk infection. TJ says, exposure to illness like chicken pox could be deadly because all her immunizations were wiped out, but they’ll go over it before she leaves. She says, it sounds like she’ll still be in isolation.

Sam says she realized Drew and Carly were a couple before Carly did. She’s happy for them, and if there was no other way out, she’s glad Drew stepped up for Carly. Her family needs her. Carly says she misses him already, and asks if Sam wants coffee. Sam says she hasn’t had coffee today because the kitchen is Dante’s domain, and tells Carly that they need to talk about all that Carly’s lost.

Gladys goes to Sonny’s, and asks if he talked to Sasha about not ending the guardianship. He says he did, and doesn’t blame Gladys for being concerned.

Sasha tells Dr. Montague that things are back on track, and he says he doesn’t want her to view the sessions as vehicles to prove herself to him. His purpose is to see if the guardianship should be ended, but he’s also here to help, and needs her to be honest. She says she is, but he says, she seemed troubled since she walked in. Does she want to tell him what’s making her so anxious?

Mac and Dante go to the pool, and tell Cody that they have news. Mac says the jeweler’s insurance company dropped the charges, and Cody says, that’s great. Dante says, Cody gets more excited about a chicken parmesan, and Cody says, to be fair. Mama Q’s chicken parm is perfection, but he knew he was innocent. What changed their minds? Mac says, a witness came forward and said they put the bracelet in Cody’s pocket, and Scotty says, the truth prevailed. He leaves to file the affidavit, and Mac asks to talk to Cody. Before Scotty can jet, Dante asks him what he and Cody are up to.

Drew hands over his possessions and gets frisked. There’s a song part while he does the equivalent of checking in; fingerprinting, photo, that sort of thing. A guard takes him to his cell, and from the hallway Cyrus says, it’s certainly not the MetroCourt, but it may be a step up from a leaky makeshift prison on a Greek island.

Mac tells Cody that he’s glad the charges were dropped but he had to do it, and Cody says he won’t hold it against Mac. Mac says he’s glad to see Cody and Scotty are on good terms, considering Cody punched Scotty when he first got to Port Charles. So Cody trusts Scotty? Careful with that.

Dante asks what the letter was about that Cody was signing, but Scotty says he’s not at liberty to talk about that. Dante wonders if Scotty is representing Cody in another matter, but Scotty says, Dante knows about lawyer/client privilege. Why is he concerned? Dante says he’s concerned that Cody is being scammed by Scotty.

Sasha says, what isn’t making her anxious these days? She guesses she feels the pressure of getting this right. He says, it sounds normal, and understandable. Has she tried meditation? She says she prefers yoga, but he asks her to try an app he recommends. She says she would like to feel more centered, and he says he has something else for her.

TJ says, Michaels concerns are valid. At first, Willow can only have physical contact with immediate family and a small number of friends, It’s crucial she avoids close contact with anyone’s who’s sick, and recommends they all wear masks. A nurse will be by with the information and medication. Willow says, he’s been invaluable as a doctor and friend, and he says he has to leave before he blushes. Michael says, the nightmare’s over, and she says, maybe they’ll get their happily ever after.

Carly tells Sam that it’s hard for her to wrap her head around all she’s lost in the past two years. Her husband, Jason, her hotel, now Drew. The $5 million SEC fine pales in comparison. Sam asks if she has it, but Carly says, even if she secures a loan, she still can’t afford it. She’s sick thinking about Drew in prison, and what she’s going to face out here. She doesn’t know what she’s going to do. What really pisses her off is that they’re in this position because of spite.

Drew says, Cyrus knows him, but who’s he? and Cyrus says he’s Drew’s brother in Christ. Blessed are ye who weep now, for ye shall laugh. He’s glad Drew isn’t weeping over his circumstances, and Drew says he’s learned time passes either way. Cyrus says his group would benefit from Drew’s outlook. They meet twice weekly in the library. Their brotherhood is founded on shared values, not on prejudice or partisanship. The minute he heard Drew was headed to Pentenville, he knew Drew’s place was with them.

Michael says, the gatehouse will be immaculate for Willow’s arrival, and he has no problem gatekeeping. Her health is all that matters. She promises to be good, and he asks who she wants to see. Sasha, Chase? She says, yes to both, but there might be someone else she wants to add.

Sam says, Carly has people who will help, but Carly says she’s not going to take a handout. Sam asks, what about Donna? and Carly says, thankfully, she’ll always be taken care of by her father. Sam says, what about Donna’s mother? but Carly says she’s handled setbacks before. The MetroCourt was a real blow, but she handled it and she’ll handle this. She just doesn’t know how yet. Sam admires her grit, and Carly says, they have that in common. Sam says, something she’s learned in the past few years is, it’s okay to ask for help and push your foolish pride aside.

Sonny tells Gladys that Sasha admitted she was nervous about ending the guardianship, and Gladys says, see? She’s not ready. Sonny says, it seems realistic to him. Nothing Sasha said indicated she’s not ready. So if she’s ready and the doctor and judge say yes, they’re going to stay out of her way.

The doctor gives Sasha a prescription bottle, and tells her to take five milligrams three times daily; it’s a mild sedative. It will help manage her anxiety and is often prescribed in conjunction with antidepressants. She asks if it’s habit-forming, and he says he’ll be monitoring her intake. He’s confident it won’t be a problem… unless she doesn’t feel in control. She says she does feel in control – totally.

Dante says he doesn’t want to see Cody getting in any more trouble, but Scotty says, everything they’re working on is aboveboard. There’s no scheme here.

Cody says, it seems Mac is always warning him against someone, and Mac says he’s not putting Scotty in Selina’s category, but he wants Cody to be careful around her. He promised not to interfere, and he won’t. Cody says, Scotty’s his legal counsel, and Mac apologizes. He’s prying. They might not be related, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t want what’s best for Cody.

Drew asks why all the interest in him, and Cyrus tells him, don’t be so modest. His story is well known. Business mogul, prominent family, philanthropist. Navy SEAL hero turned prisoner, turned free man. Drew says, turned prisoner again, and Cyrus says, yet one more chapter in Drew’s fascinating story. Far from the end. It’s easy to lose faith behind bars, and he believes Drew’s presence at their meeting will help restore faith to some of their brothers. He thinks Drew will find great comfort in this book of prayers. He hands Drew a Bible, and Drew says he didn’t catch Cyrus’s name. Cyrus says, just call him Brother Cy, and Drew says, as in Cyrus? Cyrus says, Renault, and Drew says, Laura’s brother? Cyrus asks how his dear sister is, and Drew says, the Cyrus Renault whose drug trafficking caused overdoses and nearly killed Sasha Gilmore? Cyrus says his past is lamentable, and Drew says, he tried to kill Britt Westbourne. Cyrus says, thank God he wasn’t successful, and Drew says, Cyrus can thank his late brother Jason Morgan for that. He hands back the Bible, and says, and God help Cyrus, if Cyrus ever approaches him again.

TJ says, it’s official. Willow’s discharge is being processed. She can stay as long as she wants, but she’s free to leave once she’s reviewed all of her medication and instructions. He can’t stress enough that they need to protect her immune system, and not see people outside of her limited bubble. Michael says, they’ve got it, and they thank TJ. He says he’s so happy for them, and leaves. Willow says, he’s been a godsend, and Michael asks if she wants to add TJ to her bubble. She says, yes, but she was thinking of someone else, and he might not be happy. He says, whatever she wants, and she says she thinks her bubble should include Nina.

Carly tells Sam, maybe she’s being prideful, but it’s her mess. She has to clean it up, but she’s risen from the ashes before. Sam trusts Carly will get the clarity she needs. As long as she keeps her iron will, a roof over her head, and her freedom, she’ll think of something. Carly says, Sam’s right, and thanks to Sam, she’s figured out a way to use all three.

Gladys tells Sonny that Sasha has no idea of how stressful it will be to be on her own, having responsibility for her finances… having to make decisions where Deception is concerned. She might buckle under the weight. Sonny says, she’s made her point, but she has to understand something. It’s not up to her anymore. Give it up. Gladys leaves.

Dr. Montague says, Sasha is doing good, and if it continues, he’ll be able to give the judge a positive report. She thanks him for listening. It means everything. He says, they all need support. Talk therapy, meditation, and the prescription are all parts of a consistent wellness plan. He’ll see her next week. He goes into his office and calls Gladys. She asks if he did it, and he says, her daughter-in-law is on a new prescription regimen. It’s only a matter of time. If Gladys having second thoughts, he can invent an excuse for Sasha to bring back the medication. Gladys says, no. Let’s move forward. It’s the only move she has left.

Dante wants Scotty’s assurance nothing shady is going on, and Cody’s not going to get burned by what he just signed. Scotty asks what kind of a lawyer Dante takes him for, and Dante says, a sketchy one with a bag of tricks. Scotty says, this time it’s torts, not tricks. And just for his information, all lawyers have a sketchy bag of tricks. Dante says, tort? Like a civil lawsuit? Scotty tells him not to worry about Cody, and leaves.

Cody says he doesn’t mind Mac looking out of him. It’s unnerving, but nice. Mac says, don’t think of him as a cop, but a friend, and Cody says he already does.

Cyrus says, unlike them, the word of the Lord is free; no strings attached. Drew says, forgive him if he doesn’t believe that, and Cyrus says he does. He’s a big believer in the power of forgiveness, as he is in second chances. Take the book and don’t throw it away until he peruses its pages. He’ll find its lessons very useful. Drew takes it, and Cyrus leaves. Drew opens the Bible, and finds it’s hollowed out with a screwdriver inside.

Tomorrow, Cody asks Dante, what if he doesn’t want out of it; Lucy tells Maxie that there’s a snake in their midst; Sonny tells Nina, never say never; and Tracy asks someone if they’re in or they’re out.

What I Watched Today

General Hospital

At the pool, Chase says, Brook had an idea to get him a gig? but she says she has no time to explain. Just trust her. He does trust her, doesn’t he?

Near the pool bar, Sonny says, when Nina and Ava were talking at the hospital, Ava clearly seemed like something was troubling her. Nina says, it’s not important, but he says, it didn’t look that way to him. She says, he made it perfectly clear there are things that happen in his life that he can’t talk to her about. She and Ava are friends, and there are some things that need to stay between them that he can’t be a part of. He says he knows she’s Ava’s friend, but she’s also Avery’s mother. So if she’s in trouble, and Nina isn’t telling him something, he needs to know, like if Nina was in trouble.

The Savoy says, Closed for a Private Party, and Portia squeals as she walks in with Taggert. Curtis tells the bartenders, the majority of the guests just finished their freshman year of college, so they’re underage. No alcoholic beverages for anyone wearing an orange wristband. Taggert says, looks amazing, and Portia says, Trina is going to feel so special. Trina comes in with Rory, and says, this is incredible. She thanks Curtis for shutting down the club for them. He says, it’s the least he could do. They all deserve to celebrate and have a little happiness for a change. Trina says she loves it, and hugs him. Portia says, this is above and beyond, and Curtis says, his pleasure. He has some things he needs to arrange, but enjoy the party. He leaves, and Taggert congratulates Portia on her engagement. He’s really happy for her. Jordan joins them, and says, likewise. TJ told her that she was invited, but given how Trina’s troubles started, is her being here going to be a problem?

Cameron tells Trina, congrats on this very special night, and hugs her. He says, she must be so relieved this whole thing is finally over. She says she is, and thanks him. She asks, where’s Joss? She figured they’d be coming together. Cameron says, she told him that she had to stop at GH first, but he swears she should have beaten him here. He wonders what’s keeping her.

Dex says, Josslyn’s not actually thinking of crawling in the dumpster. They’re just talking about a bracelet. Why doesn’t she just buy her sister a new one? She says, no. Her sister is going through enough right now. If there’s a chance the bracelet is in there, she’s going to look for it. She opens one side of the dumpster, and says, is he going to help her or not? He opens the other side, and says, sure, why not? She hands him her bag, gets in, and starts digging around. He takes jacket off, and joins her.

Cameron says he hasn’t gotten a text from Joss, but he’s sure she’ll be here soon. Trina says, no rush, and tells Rory, it’s early, and she plans on living it up. He says, him too, and they kiss, when Spencer walks in.

TJ sees Brando sitting on a bench at the hospital, and says, feel free to tell him it’s none of his business, but he saw Brando sitting there over an hour ago. He has time to talk if Brando wants. Brando says, Sasha’s in trouble, and he doesn’t know how to help her, or if he even can.  

Sasha goes into the PC Grill, and sees Lucy sitting at a table. Sasha joins her, and says, it’s been way too long since they got together. Why here and not the MetroCourt? Lucy says she thought, let’s get a change of scenery going on. It’s good sometimes to get out of the building where their offices are. Sasha says she couldn’t agree more. So let’s be honest. They’ve been radio silent with her for about a week or so. She’s glad Lucy decided to bring her back in. She’s ready. What’s on the agenda for today’s meeting? Lucy says, that would be Sasha, and her future with Deception.

Nina tells Sonny, of course (🍷) Ava’s worried. She was attacked, she didn’t see who attacked her, and there are no suspects, so the person who did this is still on the loose. And as for her, she’s not in trouble, but she’s got a lot on her mind, given the date today. Brook and Chase join them, and Brook hugs Sonny. He asks how she’s doing, and she says she’s doing great. He say, she has a big smile on her face; what’s the reason? She says she doesn’t know if they’ve heard, but she and Chase are now officially a thing. Chase says, the thing is, they’re a couple, and Sonny says, congratulations. Welcome to the family, so to speak. Brook says, they should do dinner one night, like a double-date, and Nina asks if she thinks Michael would be okay with that. Brook says she loves her cousin, but they don’t see eye to eye on everything, and they’re adults. She thinks they should do it. It would be a blast. Sonny asks how long he’s known Brook. A long time, right? He knows when she’s buttering him up. What favor does she need?

Sasha tells Lucy, she didn’t realize her future with Deception had to be addressed. She is an equity partner after all. Lucy says, exactly, and her behavior as of late has made the company vulnerable. She doesn’t know if Sasha has noticed – she hopes Sasha has – but the business has taken a big hit. So perhaps Sasha could take a step back, just for a while, until she’s well. Sasha says she is well, and doesn’t like this one bit. She understands where Lucy is coming from though. She’ll take a step back from the fall campaign; the winter one too, if need be. All this drama should be forgotten by then… What? Lucy says, they’re going to need more than that.

TJ tells Brando that he heard about Sasha’s incident with Smoltz at the MetroCourt. He sent Brando a couple of texts, just checking in, but when he didn’t hear back, he figured Brando had a lot on his plate. Brando says, Sasha’s attorney came up with a strategy for her to avoid prison, and TJ says, it’s that serious? Brando says, it could be if they don’t find a way to address it. They had an appointment this morning with Dr. Rubin, who was going to pitch the potential solution to Sasha, but the session didn’t go as planned. TJ asks, how so? He’s not just Brando’s friend, he’s also a doctor, so any medical information Brando shares, he’ll consider privileged. Brando says, he’s felt so helpless. He couldn’t save his son, and couldn’t stop Sasha from spiraling. Now he’s worried he might have crossed a line.

Portia says she holds no ill will about Jordan’s part in Trina’s investigation. She thought she’d made that clear before. Jordan was just doing her job, and Portia knows that. Taggert says, and when push came to shove, Jordan helped lead the charge against Esme. Portia says, and all that is behind them anyway. She sees Spencer come in, and says she has to check on something. She leaves, and Jordan says she hopes she could extend the same grace to Portia if their roles were reversed, and Taggert says, he’s just glad she and Portia were able to mend fences. Maybe it’s time to leave the past in the past. Jordan flashes back to hearing Portia on the phone, saying, the genetic counseling isn’t concerning her; it concerns her daughter. Her medical history isn’t relevant. The screening is for her daughter’s paternal line. Jordan tells Taggert that she wonders if that’s ever truly possible.

Rory sees Spencer, and points him out to Trina. Cameron says, he was just with Spencer, and he didn’t mention anything about Trina’s party. He had no idea Spencer was planning to come. Trina says, neither did she. Spencer takes out the envelope containing the letter to Trina, looks at it, then puts it back in his pocket. Portia asks Trina if she needs anything from her, but Trina says she’s fine. In fact, she thinks she’d like a couple minutes alone with Spencer. Portia says, they’re here if Trina decides she needs back-up, and Trina goes over to him.

Spencer says, for a second, he thought Trina was going to have him escorted out, but she says, everyone just wants to mood for tonight to remain fun – for her and her friends. He says, which is why he wanted to congratulate her before he’s shipped off to Pentenville tomorrow, because they are friends. She says, no, Spencer, we’re not.

Dex and Josslyn dig through the garbage, and Dex asks if it’s her first dumpster dive. Or is she one of those progressive college kids who like repurposing old food? She says, gross, no. It’s her first time going through trash, public or private. He says she must love her little sister, and she says, of course (🍷) she does. Is he an only child? He says, no. He has siblings, but they don’t get along well, or at all actually. She says, sorry to hear that. She’s super close to all of her siblings. He says, it is what it is. He’s better off without them. She asks, what makes him say that? and he says, if he’d never moved on, he would have never come to Port Charles, and he woudn’t have crossed paths with the people he met here. She says, they should keep searching. They dig some more, and she tells him that her foot is stuck. He tries to help her, and she ends up falling, and pulling him down on top of her.

Brook asks if a girl can’t spend some quality time with her favorite non-biological uncle, and his second life partner. Nina says, she’s been called worse, and Sonny says, Brook is playing with fire now. Brook says, all right; he called her out. She does need a favor – she and Chase need a favor. She’s decided to follow in her mom’s footsteps, and become a behind-the-scenes force in the music industry. It’s been two years to the day she lost her voice, thanks to Nelle attacking her, and depriving her of the gift of singing. She may have been down, but she’s not out. She has a ton of experience in the music biz. She can still write songs, and take everything she’s learned, and help new talent and manage them, which is what she’s doing with Chase. She knows Sonny has a ton of connections, so she was hoping he could flex some of that muscle, and help her get Chase some gigs. What does he say?

Spencer says he knows he’s said some stupid and regrettable things to Trina, but this all started because they were friends last year. She says she can’t deny past; they were friends. Unfortunately, things have changed since then, and the most important thing she needs to do is to heal. She can’t do that if he’s still a part of her life. What he said on the witness stand when he tried to give her an alibi, she won’t forget that either. He sacrificed his own freedom to try and give her hers. That’s a big deal, but they both need to move on. She hugs him, and tells him to take care of himself in Pentenville. She really wants the best for him. Truly. She goes back to Rory, and Spencer takes out the envelope.

Josslyn tells Dex, 500 showers aren’t going to fix this. They were just lying in trash. Dex says, she was falling, and he tried to help her, but she’s strong. She says, the important things is, they just keep looking for the bracelet. They dig some more, and she says, ta-da! She found it; Avery’s bracelet. He asks if she’s sure, and she says she’s positive. He says, impressive, and she tells him, she had help.

TJ asks what Brando did that he thinks crossed a line, and Brando says, he was so desperate, and Sasha’s been making all kinds of rash decisions; about her health, her finances, even this legal situation. She has a problem with drugs, but she’s resisted treatment for months. That’s what led to all of this. He’s not judging; he’s speaking as a former addict himself. Sasha had a psychiatric break, and it didn’t happen privately. It happened during her appearance on the Home & Heart show. TJ says, he didn’t get to see it live, but he caught a clip on social media. It was rough. Brando says, then there was an incident with that reporter Smoltz where she lost it, and attacked his car. That’s when her attorney Martin Grey came up with the idea that the courts might be more lenient if she agreed to a guardianship. He would be her conservator. He’d be in charge of all her treatments, and he’d have power of attorney for her. TJ says he can see how an attorney would be in favor, and it could work, as long as Sasha agreed. Brando says, that’s where he screwed up. He didn’t include Sasha in the conversations, so when Dr. Rubin pitched it to Sasha, she snapped.

Sasha asks what Lucy is looking for, a public apology? Does she want Sasha to do another interview, open up a vein, and beg forgiveness? And for what? Grieving the loss of her son? For relapsing? Lucy says, it’s a lot more complicated than that, and Sasha knows it. Sasha has been struggling for some time now, and she’s made some rash decisions that have affected her well-being, and it’s also affecting the well-being of their company, She hates having to say this. It’s horrible to have to say, and horrible for Sasha to have to listen, but right now she is an equity partner in Deception, and has the power to make decisions for Deception, even if she’s not in the right head space to make them. Sasha says, enough. What’s the bottom line? Do they want to push her out of her company?

Chase asks if he can talk to Brook for a second, but she says, they haven’t even heard her Uncle Sonny’s reaction. So what does Sonny think? Sonny says he knows a few people who would book Chase as a favor to him, and Brook gets all excited, but he says, listen. The last time she came to him for a favor, it was about teaching Linc a lesson, and had nothing to do with Chase’s career. Chase says, she did what? and Brook says, Linc is a dirtball, and Chase has real talent. Booking him in some real venues, both promotes him and gets her a little payback on Linc. It sounds like a win-win to her. They’re just trying to set up their next chapter, and make sure Linc gets the punishment he deserves. Sonny says, that’s good enough for him; consider it done. Chase tells them that he has something to say.

Dex offers Josslyn his hand, but she says, she can do this herself. She gets out of the dumpster, and he says he gives her credit for finding the bracelet, but she’s probably going to have to buy her little sister a new once, since it smells so bad. Josslyn says she’s going to clean it, but she has to change her clothes before she goes to Trina’s party. He says, that’s why, no matter what the weather, it’s good to wear layers. He takes his shirt off, and she asks if he plans his day looking for chances to take his shirt off, and he says he hasn’t had any complaints so far. He could have kept his shirt clean, and let her look for her sister’s bracelet alone. She says he’s right, thanking him, and he says, anytime. He tells her to have fun at the party, and she leaves.

Spencer sits by himself, staring at the envelope, when Cameron comes by. He says he couldn’t hear what Spencer and Trian were saying, but he read their facial expression. Is he okay? Spencer says, not really, but he was just about to leave anyway. Cameron points to the envelope, and asks, what’s that? Spencer says he had this crazy idea he would confess everything in a letter to Trina. He would give it to her, and she’d read it and forgive him, and everything would be better again. Typical of him, always taking the easy way out. It was a stupid idea. Cameron says, it’s the first non-stupid idea Spencer has had all year.

Marshall congratulates Curtis on his engagement to Portia. Lord knows he’s glad he’s here to see it. Curtis says, they decided to fight for their relationship, the same way Marshall encouraged Trina to fight for her court case. Marshall says, she did the same for him. Because of Trina, he has a shot at doing something with his family. And Curtis? Curtis holds out his hand, and they bro hug.

TJ tells Brando, he can’t say he’s surprised. Who would love the idea of signing over their free will to someone else, even if it’s their spouse? Brando asks if TJ thinks he overstepped, but TJ says he’s not a psychiatrist; it’s not his place to say medically. And he’s not inside their marriage. Brando says he was going to bring up the idea of conservatorship to Sasha last week, he just… He just couldn’t muster up the courage. He convinced himself that Dr. Rubin could explain it better, being in a safe controlled environment, but that wasn’t the truth. TJ asks, what was the truth? and Brando says, it’s hard to admit, but he was ashamed of what he was asking Sasha to do.

Sasha tells Lucy that she demands an answer. Is Lucy kicking her out of Deception? Lucy says, no, they’re not voting her out, and Sasha says, what is she asking for then? Lucy says, they’re asking that she simply simple voluntarily put her fiduciary responsibilities and financial stake in Deception in a trust. Then they can monitor it until Sasha is deemed better. Sasha asks, who gets to decide when she’s better? Some doctor? Lucy?  Are they going to take a vote? Lucy says, no, but if Sasha doesn’t help them out here, cooperate, they’ll be forced to vote her out. But they don’t want to do that; they want what’s best for Sasha. So come on, just think about it. Take a step back from Deception, just for now. Sasha bangs on the table, and says, hell no!

Brando tells TJ that he never gives Sasha a chance to ask for help. He always oversteps before she’s ready, then she pushes him away. He doesn’t give her a chance to come to him. TJ says, there may be some truth to that, but the better question is, why is Brando telling all this to him and not his wife? Brando says, good point.

Chase says he means no disrespect to Sonny, but he sees Brook’s attempt at making him a popstar as more of a sabbatical. His first love is being a police officer, and he’s still holding out hope he’ll be allowed to be one again one day – if the Civilian Review Board allows it. Their lines of work don’t exactly overlap very well. Sonny says, he respects Chase’s honesty, but luckily, his business contacts in music venues are where he distributes coffee. Chase says, Sonny’s name alone has connections, and he’s on thin ice at the PCPD already. He just can’t risk it. Nina says she might have a potential solution. She’s really good friends with Curtis Ashford. She and Sonny could both put in a good word for Chase playing at The Savoy. Chase says he guesses if the ask is from Nina, he could live with that, and Brook says, that would be great. She thanks Nina, and of course (🍷) Uncle Dimples for taking the time to listen to her. Nina says she’s actually going to see Curtis because she wants to congratulate him on his engagement. She asks if Sonny will come with her, and they leave. Brook says, that worked out for the best. Chase will have a gig in no time. He tells her that she went way too far, and walks away.

Everyone is dancing, and Cameron tells Spencer, they all want Trina to have a fantastic time tonight. Spencer says, she deserves it, and Cameron says, she also deserves to know the truth. That way, she can make an accurate assessment of Spencer’s role in her life. He’s not saying because he thinks they have a chance to be together; it’s slim. He’s saying this because he learned the hard way, through his mom. Suppressing your feelings only leads to trouble. He thinks the fact Spencer came here, uninvited, to deliver that letter in person, rather than dropping it in a mailbox, says Spencer thinks that too. Cameron leaves, and Spencer ponders this.  

Brando tells TJ that Sasha has a Deception meeting at the PC Grill. He’s supposed to meet her afterward. That was, until everything blew up. TJ says he’s headed to The Savoy, and can drop Brando off at the Grill first. Brando says, it would be good for him and Sasha to talk about things when tensions are so high. Funny. You’d think that’s when you shouldn’t be talking about things.

Sasha says she’s not going to step back and be some phony figurehead, and Lucy asks her to keep her voice down. The last thing Deception needs is another public spectacle. Sasha asks if that’s why Lucy chose the Grill. Lucy thought she wouldn’t cause a scene in such an upscale place? Think again. She gets up, and screams, Lucy betrayed her. This is the company she put her blood, sweat, and tears into. Lucy gets up, and says, stop right now. Listen to her. She loves Sasha like a daughter, and Sasha knows that, but she’ll be damned if she lets Sasha jeopardize everything she’s worked her entire life to build. No way. Sasha says, like a daughter, huh? Yet at the first sign of trouble, she wants to shove Sasha off the lifeboat. Lucy says, this has been building for well over a year; it’s not the first sign. Sasha says, so Lucy just abandons her now, like everyone else? She screams, go to hell, Lucy! as a guy at the next table films her on his phone.

Jordan says, Trina’s really something, and Taggert says he’s just lucky he survived to watch her grow up. Sometimes she has a personality he doesn’t recognize. Trina’s definitely her own person. He’s a strategist, and he games everything. Portia is a healer, more holistic, but Trina leads with her heart. She’s a rescuer by nature, and wants to save the world. Sometimes he wonders where she gets it from. Jordan looks at Curtis.

Nina and Sonny come in, and Curtis excuses himself. Portia tells Marshall that she’s sorry Epiphany couldn’t make it tonight. She remembers studying for the MCATs and doesn’t envy her at all. How are things going between the two of them? Marshall says, they’re good. He told Epiphany about his diagnosis, and that woman couldn’t have been more supportive. He often wonders what could been had he been honest about his original diagnosis back in the day. He got blindsided. Maybe if he’d had symptoms when he was younger he coulda… Coulda, woulda, woulda, coulda. He might have been better prepared to handle it.

Curtis tells Nina that he’s glad she could made it. He says, Sonny, and Nina thanks him for the invitation. She knows they’re here to celebrate Trina, but she wanted to congratulate him on his engagement. She wants to congratulate Portia, and leaves. Curtis says he has to check on something, but Sonny follows him, and asks, what’s going on? Can they clear the air here? Why does he get the sense Curtis thinks he’s crashing the party? Curtis says, because he is, and Sonny says, Nina was invited, but he thought he and Curtis were friends. Curtis says, they did favors for each other, or so he thought, but it turns out it was only one-sided. Sonny asks if Curtis is still mad because he didn’t dig into Marshall’s arrest record.  

Josslyn arrives at The Savoy, and Josslyn asks why Rory didn’t tell her that he could dance. They sit at a table, and Rory says, it doesn’t really come up in casual conversation, and they’ve never gone out dancing. He usually tries to bust a move at weddings or parties with work people. There’s a cop banquet thing next month. People are supposed to bring their significant others if she’s ready for that. She says, what this whole trial thing has taught her is that she shouldn’t waste time being so cautious. So she’s ready to take the leap if he is. They kiss, and Spencer sees them through a curtain of streamers.

Cameron says, Josslyn finally made it; it’s good to see her. He was wondering what was keeping her. Did she go all the way home to change?

Filming dude tells his date that he can’t believe their catching the latest meltdown of the Basket Case of Deception. If he was my date, I’d dump my drink on his head and leave. Sasha snatches his phone out of his hand, and says, leeches. All of you are leeches. Is he just trying get a piece of her while she gets her life back on track? Dude says, it’s a public place. If you don’t want attention, act normal. She says, normal? Like he was normal filming her? She stomps on his phone, and he says, what the hell? She asks if this is crazy enough for him, and  the manager says he’s going to have to ask Sasha to leave. She yells, get your hands off me! and pushes him, but he grabs her. She freaks out, when Brando walks in. Lucy apologizes to the manager and insensitive dude, and Brando asks if Sasha is okay. She says, no, she’s not okay, and cries in his arms. She tells him that she needs help.

TJ hugs Jordan, and she says, he’s so late. Was there an emergency at the hospital? He says, no. He had to give a friend a ride, but Aunt Stella texted him. She’s on her way to the airport, and really wanted Trina to know how happy she is for her. Jordan says, maybe this will encourage Stella to stop traveling the world and stay put in Port Charles. He says he’d like that, but he’s glad Aunt Stella has the opportunity to see the world. To think that almost got taken away from her because of a technical glitch. Jordan asks what he’s talking about, and he says, she forgot? The ancestry website initially matched her with the wrong person before her cousin in London. It said she had a close relation in Port Charles.

Brook asks what Chase is talking about. She was kind of polite and everything. He says, that favor she asked Sonny; she never even asked him about it. The last thing he needs is to be associated with the mob. His reputation has to be on the up-and-up. She says, he’s right; she’s sorry. But all’s well that ends well, right? It turns out they owe Nina for the favor, not Sonny. He says he just wants to be clear. It’s important that she not put him in another compromising position again. Unless… He smiles, and she says, message received. She won’t compromise his integrity while they figure out how to take down Linc. He thanks her, and they hug.

Curtis says he doesn’t know what Sonny expected. He asked Sonny for a favor, and Sonny turned him down. He learned at that moment he can’t depend on Sonny. It’s that simple. Did everyone take unreasonable pills today? Sonny says, Curtis has no idea what he’s done to protect Curtis’s family, and Curtis says, here’s his chance… Forget about it. Sonny says he likes Curtis. Can’t they work this out? Curtis says, Sonny made the rules abundantly clear. He just doesn’t like them. Marshall asks if they’ve got a problem here.

Josslyn says she did change. She’s surprised Cameron noticed. He says he’s a little bit stupid, but she changed outfits completely. She says, it’s no big deal. She told him earlier, Avery lost her charm bracelet, and it was from Ava. She had to look for it, and Avery said she wore it to GH. So her search led her to a trash bin, and she did a bit of dumpster diving, which was pretty disgusting, but she ended up finding the bracelet. He says, his girlfriend is a certified badass. He’s sorry she didn’t call him though. He wouldn’t want her to do that alone.

Rory leaves to get some waters, and Trina gets up to walk around. She sees Spencer, and he tries to jet, but she stops him. He says he’s going to take her advice to heart. He’ll see her when he sees her. Have fun. On his way out, he drops the envelope, and she sees it. They both race to pick it up, but she gets there first. She asks, what is this?

Tomorrow, Marshall asks Sonny to leave; Spencer says, there’s something he’d like to tell Trina; Willow tells Nina that she’s here for Nelle; and Sonny says he’ll keep Selina’s offer in mind.

Below Deck Mediterranean

The title of this episode is Let Me Be Frank, and it reminds me of an old joke…

Mellieha Bay. We’re still at the wine tasting, and in Dave’s interview, he says, the guests are loving it. The problem is, he had everything ready to go up at once, and everyone could pour whatever wine they wanted. He’s trying to make interior’s life easier. The wine pairing is making everyone else’s life difficult. Dessert is served, and Storm tells the guests that he wants to go over things for tomorrow. We flash back to the preference sheet meeting, and primary Adam’s request for a water obstacle course for a friendly competition. Storm tells them to bring their drinking face and sports legs and body, because it’s going to go together. Kyle suggests the guests change into their PJs, and one of them says he should too. Kyle says, even though they’re supposed to be in uniform, he has to honor guest requests. Tasha tells Dave that the meal was hectic, but amazing, and he says, it was sh*t. In Tasha’s interview, she says, it probably wasn’t the best decision to do the wine pairing, but the guests are having the best time, and that’s all that matters. Kyle gets in his PJs, and tells Dave, well done, as he walks past.

Kyle gets applause when he shows up, and in Tasha’s interview, she says she thinks Kyle’s flirting is great, but she loves a good love story. She’s always been a rebellious angel. People think she looks innocent, but really she tries to get away with murder. Bad decisions make good stories. She joins the party, and they play Rose and Thorn. Guest Daniel says, meeting them was his rose, and Kyle and Tasha are like, oh, gee, aww. Someone asks about Kyle, and Kyle says he wasn’t expecting to be attracted to another individual for a while, but seeing Frank’s smile, he was shook. Frank has a warm aura that makes him feel comfortable, and he’d like to get to know him. In Kyle’s interview, he says, he could definitely be fired for this kind of interaction, but being part of the LGBTQIA+ community, it’s difficult to make this kind of connection. What’s more important, job or romance? Kyle jokes and talks with the guests as they all lounge on the couch, and in her interview, Tasha says, if Captain Sandy came by and saw this, they’d both be in trouble. As his boss, she should say something to stop it, but she feels like a bit of a c*ck block at the moment. She tells Kyle that she needs him for work stuff, and out of the guests’ earshot, she says she doesn’t want him to get into trouble. The guests go to bed, and Mzi teases that Kyle looked cozy on the couch. He likes Kyle’s commitment to the cause. The crew goes to bed.

In the morning, Courtney does her tender thing. Natalya is annoyed by how much she has to clean up, and bitches to Dave. In her interview, she says, she already has a full morning, so when Tasha and Kyle leave the place like a pig sty, she goes through the roof. Courtney and Natalya get out the outfits for the competition, and the suits for the women are red spandex with spaghetti straps and relax on the front in rhinestones. Natalya gripes to Kyle and Tasha about how much she’s had to do, and in Tasha’s interview, she says she thinks if the shoe was on the other foot, and Natalya was up until 4 am, she would have gone to bed too. It’s not the end of the world. The slide is blown up, and Storm tells Mzi if he can get to the top from the bottom, he’ll let Mzi slide for 3 hours. But of course, it’s impossible. Storm tells the deckhands to be cheerful and loud, shocking and vivey (whatever that means), and Jason says, he means American. In Storm’s interview, he says, now that he’s got a taste of being a bosun, he doesn’t want to be anything else. He wants to make the guests and the captain happy, so he can say he’s done everything he can do.

Kyle puts on the relax bathing suit, and everyone cracks up. He puts trunks over it before they go out because… you know why. Captain Sandy welcomes everyone to the mini Olympics, and introduces Team Adams Family versus Team Home. The guests get the advantage, or disadvantage, of having a shot before each challenge. They do a bunch of crazy/silly stuff, and it ends 5 to 3 with Team Adams Family winning. The captain says, back to work, but Kyle sheds his trunks and continues to frolic in the water with the guests. The captain starts repeating, back to work, like a mom boss, until Kyle gets the message. In her interview, she says, it’s a fine line when the guests want to mingle with the crew, and some of the crew don’t know when to end the fun. If you have respect for yourself and your industry, you don’t cross the line. She trusts every crew member, until they show they can’t be trusted. You just need to know where the line is, and not cross it. In Kyle’s interview, he says, he’s never been in this position before. Rule number one, don’t get intimate with guests. But he doesn’t want to lose this. He needs to figure out a way of showing interest without losing his job.

In Mzi’s interview, he says, he and Courtney have chemistry, but they like each other as good friends, nothing more. Dave makes a three-layer chocolate cake, with butter icing and white chocolate ganache, shaped like a ship. In his interview, he says, he did it once before, in all chocolate; The Black Pearl. We see a picture of him in a pirate costume holding a ship cake. Storm tells Jason to take a break for 15 minutes, which turns into 45 minutes. In his interview, Mzi says, there’s always one person in the work place who’s defiant. He has no respect for people like that. Know your job, and try to make chemistry work, not destroy it. Frank tells Kyle that he’s sad it’s the last night, but Kyle says, it’s never the last night, and they flirt some more. Natalya asks for help with decorating for the birthday party, and Storm sends Jason. Captain Sandy is impressed with cake, and says she’s loving the silver and gold décor. Kyle makes drinks that are mostly tequila based, and again I wonder, blech, why? Guest Liam turns into Bambi for the evening. Mzi and Courtney discuss Jason, and Courtney says, he should have more respect for the job. She’s had enough. She sees Jason nearby, and wonders if he heard, but Mzi doesn’t think so. In Jason’s interview, he says, they’ve got a clique, and he feels like an outsider. It sucks for sure. Courtney tells Mzi that she doesn’t want any drama. She’s keeping her mouth shut.

The guests are impressed with the dinner table, and Natalya is impressed with Bambi. In Natalya’s interview, she says, she’s not into girls, but could be for Bambi. In Captain Sandy’s interview, she says, she’s a child at heart, and loves cake like she loves puppies, but she also loves ships. She never had a chef make a ship cake. After the usual fabulous dinner, Dave brings out the cake, and Happy Birthday is sung badly. The guests get ready to go in the hot tub, and Natalya is overwhelmed in the laundry.  She tells Storm that she’s hit a wall, and he says he has too. In her interview, Natalya says she likes Storm, but she has trust issues. Her longest relationship was 7 weeks when she was 17. They were out for Valentine’s Day, and he left in the middle of dinner because his ex wanted him back. And he stuck her with the bill. In the hot tub, Adam says he feels like he’s in a big gay soup. Mzi tells Storm that Jason was a few minutes late for anchor watch, but he apologized. Frank goes over to where Kyle is tending bar, and says, it seems like he’s alone a lot with his job. Kyle says he is, and that’s why he struggles to find a partner. Frank says, Kyle has the gay wit he doesn’t, and Kyle says, it came from when he was growing up. It was a way out of awkward situations. Frank says, he’s like a deer in headlights, and Kyle says, that’s what makes him so cute. Guest Jennifer wonders if will happen, and in Kyle’s interview, he says, Frank is gorgeous, but giving him heart as well. Jennifer thinks they’ll be a thing, and wants to encourage them. The guests head to bed, and Kyle and Frank have a hug.

In Tasha’s interview, she says she sees messages from her boyfriend, but there aren’t enough hours in the day to chat. He’s having issues about her working with Dave, and she doesn’t know what she’s supposed to do. Frank texts Kyle, asking if they can hang out after charter, and Kyle texts back, inviting Frank to join the crew later. A pigeon tries to take up residence on deck, and nearly creams Captain Sandy when she comes out. Storm keeps trying to radio Jason, who finally emerges. Storm tells Jason that he called three times, and Jason needs to respond. In Jason’s interview, he says he’s sorry he’s not moving fast enough for Storm. He’s not a dog. Why is it a surprise to this guy that he’s an outsider? Liam wonders what they’re going to do for food rest of their lives. Courtney asks Mzi if heart palpitations are normal for docking. She’s scared, and it’s stressing her out. In her interview, she says, her brain is her biggest enemy. The more she thinks about something, the more scared she is to do it. She throws her lines, and they dock successfully. Captain Sandy tells the crew to meet for guest departure.

While hugging in the goodbye line, Frank says he wants to kiss Kyle, and Kyle says, they will later. Adam says, they made his 30th more than he could ask for go. The crew went the extra million miles. They put out all the toys, even though they seemed super complicated, and a hassle. The crew became part of their family, and he’s profoundly grateful. He gives the captain the tip envelope, and they leave. Tasha says, that was a lovely speech, and Captain Sandy tells them to get in their reds, and turn the boat around. They spiff up the boat, and the captain calls them for the tip meeting. She tells them that she’s pleased with everyone. The cake was insane. The toys weren’t easy, but they conquered the slide. The games were great, and they did an awesome job. She’s decided to make Storm bosun, and everyone goes, yay! She says, congrats; he earned it. One thing she wants to talk about is the line on mingling with the guests. When she says, get back in uniform and back to work, that doesn’t mean go down the slide. They should be friendly, but in uniform, they’re professionals, and can’t forget that. In Kyle’s interview, he says, that won’t happen again, obviously, but thanks for pointing it out. The tip is $20K, or $1800 each. In Storm’s interview, he says, it’s like a crazy dream. He’ll try his best to kick ass. He’s seriously stoked. He’s going to enjoy the night out. Kyle says, Adam told them that they were like family. How do they know where the line is? Natalya suggests someone hang off the boat to show Kyle how low he is next to the guests.  

Courtney raps as they wash down the boat. Dave asks to talk to Tasha, and in his interview, he says, it’s like they’re both treading on glass. He wants to be friends, but they need to reach an agreement that suits them both. They sit on deck, and Dave says, they don’t have to be friends, but they need to work together. Tasha says, now that they both understand nothing is going to happen between them, they can get on with each other. He says he has lots of feelings for her, and his heart was broken. He was upset, and he’s not scared to say it. He’s a big boy, and still thinks she’s an amazing person. She says, sorry, and they hug

Grand Harbour. The crew gets ready to go out. In Dave’s interview, he says, if he indulges in spirits, he can’t hold his tongue. It’s easier to get along than have bad vibes, so tonight is going to be a clear night. He’s decided to stay on the boat. The rest of the crew goes to a bar, where they see the guests from the last charter. Frank and Kyle hug, and in Tasha’s interview, she says she’s finally free to be herself, and enjoy what she loves doing most – partying. Can Dave stay on the boat every night out? Kyle says he wants to take Frank places he’s never been (literally, that’s not romantic talk), and Frank says he hasn’t traveled enough. Natalya suggests she and Storm go back to the boat for vegemite toast and a movie. I’ve had vegemite. No thanks. In Storm’s interview, he says, Natalya keeps him on his toes. She’s a fierce little lady, and he likes her a lot. They others stay and dance for a while. When it’s time to leave, there’s lots of hugging. Kyle makes a heart sign to Frank before he gets in the car. In Kyle’s interview, he gets tears in his eyes and says, he’s waited a long time to have a moment like this.  He doesn’t know what will happen in the future. You don’t want to be away from someone who makes you feel so good. He gets out of the car, and yells, Frank, I love you! They run toward each other, and passionately kiss. Everyone screams with happiness, and fireworks go off. Again, literally. Okay, maybe figuratively too.

This season, girl power; Mzi in drag; Tasha says, when the guests are away, he mice will play; Captain Sandy says, the interior has to get organized, and it’s the last time she’s saying it; Storm and Jason clash; Storm has a conflict with Natalya; Tasha says she struggles with being alone; and a huge swell where someone gets hurt.

General Hospital

Ava and Esme struggle over the envelope. Esme grabs it and runs out on the turret, Ava right behind her. Esme crumples it, and is about to throw it over the wall when Ava grabs her arm, and they battle over it some more. Nikolas comes in, yelling for Ava, and hears them outside. Esme pulls, and yanks too hard, backpedaling right over the wall. Nikolas runs out, and sees Ava looking down. He asks, what the hell happened? Did you push Esme?

Willow waits in Terry’s office. She flashes back to asking if TJ thinks she has cancer, and TJ saying he’s worried she has leukemia.

Curtis watches as a nurse puts Oz’s chart in a file holder. Since we all know how lax security is at GH, the second her back is turned, he takes the folder, puts it under his jacket, and strolls away. When he gets around the corner, he starts taking pictures of the information. Jordan calls to him, and he tries to look innocent.

In the courtroom, Diane tells Trina, she wants to make it clear. When they were at the cabin that weekend, Trina didn’t have feelings for Cameron, because she had feelings for Spencer, correct? Trina says, yes, and Diane asks how long she had these feelings for Spencer? Trina says, they met at her high school graduation party, and he was pretending to be someone else; he called himself Victor. Diane asks if Trina was attracted to Victor, and Trina nods. Diane says, let the record show Miss Robinson has nodded in the affirmative. Yes, she was attracted to Spencer Cassadine when he was using his guise as Victor. So Trina’s had romantic feelings for Spencer for over a year. Trina says, just this past January; maybe even longer, but she doesn’t have romantic feelings for him now. Diane says, to the best of Trina’s knowledge, did Spencer ever return those feelings? and Trina says she doesn’t know. They never went on a date or anything. She thinks he saw her as just a good friend. Besides, Spencer had a girlfriend. Diane says, she would be referring to Esme Prince, and Trina says, yes. Diane says, the same Esme Prince that went to the cabin with them that weekend, and Trina says, yes. Diane asks if Esme was aware that Trina had feelings for her boyfriend.

Elizabeth walks down the stairs with Willow’s lab results, and stops, her pen falling from her hand. She flashes back to Peter lying on the landing, and taking his pulse. She drops all of the paperwork, holds onto the railing, and sits. She hears a child say, daddy.

Ava tells Nikolas, Esme was trying to leave. She had a letter she didn’t want Ava to see, and they were fighting over it. She just… went over. Nikolas says he doesn’t see her anywhere, and Ava says she has to call 9-1-1. She runs inside for her phone, and Nikolas follows. He tells her, don’t call the police. They’ll think she pushed Esme over the parapet. She says she made no secret of wanting Esme gone; she threatened to kill Esme. She looks around, and says, this room has to look pristine. He says, she can’t be here. She was never here… but the staff heard her; they called him. He tells her to go to the master bedroom, and don’t let anyone in but him. Make sure she’s not seen. He hustles her to the door, saying he has to make sure the staff doesn’t come in here. He sees the suitcase, and asks if it’s Esme’s. She says, they have to find her, but he says, Ava has to take care of herself. He checks the hallway, and says, it’s all clear. Go, now.

Trina says, Esme knew she liked Spencer, and she was suspicious of her friendship with him. Diane asks if Trina thinks Esme was jealous of her relationship with Spencer, and Arden objects, saying, it calls for speculation. Diane says, withdrawn. Would Trina describe her relationship with Esme for the court. Trina says, Esme was around because of Spencer; they weren’t friends. Diane asks, why not? and Trina says, Esme helped Spencer stalk her friend Ava Jerome. Esme set Ava’s car on fire. Arden says, objection. Spencer Cassadine pled guilty, and spent a month at Spring Ridge Minimum Security Prison for the crimes he committed against Miss Jerome. There has been no evidence Esme Prince was involved. The defendant is living in the land of wishful thinking. Judge Young says, sustained. Diane’s client can only bring up what can be proved, not what she thinks may have happened. Diane says, of course (🍷), and tells Trina, throughout this trial, the prosecution has accused her of being the kind of person who would violate her friend’s privacy in the most despicable and insidious manner. Has she ever wanted to violate a friend in such a vial manner for any reason? Trina says, no, especially not to Joss and Cam. Their friendship means everything to her. She would never do anything to jeopardize that. Diane thanks her, and says, no further questions. The judge tells Arden, her witness.

Jordan asks if she wants to know, and Curtis says, she doesn’t. She asks, how’s Mr. Haggerty? and he says, still in a medically induced coma. Was she able to draw a connection between him and Esme? She says she went to Windymere, and Nikolas wasn’t aware of Oz visiting there. Nikolas was at the hospital with Spencer when Curtis saw Oz take the launch to Spoon Island. He says, and with Esme’s help, Oz was able to get off the island without anyone seeing him. Jordan says, unfortunately, they don’t have proof Oz met with Esme, and Curtis says, he and Marshall met Ava at the dock, and filled her in on their suspicion that Oz sold Esme the black market phone she used for revenge porn. Ava hoped to find Oz and Esme at Windymere, but when she got there, there was no sign of him. She says, Esme must have helped him get off the island undetected, and he says, Oz was the loose end she needed to tie up. Before Oz lost consciousness, he said, she gave him something. He’s sure Oz meant Esme. Jordan says, to prove it, they have to find evidence that Esme was at the apartment with Oz, and he says, any chance of that happening? She says, forensics is going over the apartment, but there’s so much DNA, it could take months before they discover if any of it belonged to Esme. He says, Trina could be in prison by then, and an appeal could take years, and she says, however, she did learn something interesting.

Elizabeth sits on the steps, hearing a child say, daddy… mommy… She says, who is it? What do you want? Finn says, hey, and comes down. He asks, what happened? Is she okay?

Michael is looking for Willow, and calls her, but gets voicemail. He leaves a message saying, he just got back, but she’s not here. He hopes everything is okay. He loves her. He sees TJ, and asks if he knows what happened to Willow.

Terry comes into her office with Britt, and says she’s asked Britt to consult on Willow’s case. Britt says, unless Willow would like another obstetrician, but Willow says, no, of course (🍷) not; Britt is her OB. Terry asks if Elizabeth came in while Willow was waiting, but Willow says, no. Terry says, she should be here with the results soon, and Willow says, and the results will confirm she has leukemia. Terry says she’s reviewed Willow’s initial bloodwork, and the symptoms she’s shown over the last few months – weakness, fatigue, loss of energy and appetite – can be consistent with adult onset leukemia. Willow asks how that could be possible. She’s healthy. She’s been tired, but she’s had so much going on. Terry reminds her that her diagnosis hasn’t been confirmed yet. If she does have leukemia, it could be genetic, and many patients diagnosed with leukemia have no known risk factors. Willow asks what this means for her baby. Terry suggests they not get ahead of themselves. They need to rule out all other possibilities first. Willow asks how they do that, and Terry says she’d like to perform a blood marrow biopsy. Britt says, Willow studied that procedure in nursing class, and Willow says, they draw the blood marrow out of the pelvic bone to determine if there are cancer cells, and what type they are. Terry says, A+. She’d like to schedule the procedure as soon as possible. As Willow knows, it’s an outpatient procedure, and takes about 30 minutes. Willow says, and it’s safe for her baby? and Britt says, absolutely. They’ll give her a sedative that’s safe for both Willow and her baby. She should avoid eating and drinking before the sedative is administered. Terry says, and she’ll need someone to drive her home, and Willow asks if there’s any way they can do this now. She fits the pre-biopsy criteria; she won’t need a strong sedative. Britt says, it’s painful if she goes that route, but Willow says she doesn’t care. She doesn’t want to wait. She needs to know what she and her child are dealing with. Terry says she has room in her schedule if Willow really wants to do this now, and Willow says she does. Britt asks if she wants to call anyone to be with her, but Willow says, no. She can do this by herself.

Finn tells Elizabeth that she’s okay. He’s going to help her. He’s not going to let anything hurt her. He takes her hand, and she asks, what happened? He says he was hoping she could tell him, but she says she doesn’t know. He says, it’s okay; they’ll figure it out together. Take one deep breath. She does, and he says, better? Let’s take you out of here. He leads her away, leaving the papers littering the stairs.

Curtis sneaks around, putting the file back the same way he took it – with no one noticing, even though the nurse is at the desk. Jordan joins him, and says she spoke to Dr. Westbourne about Mr. Haggerty’s tox screen. She said he has acute opioid intoxication, and she didn’t find a prescription for it in his name. Jordan’s officers checked his motel and his apartment; no sign of drug use. He says, Oz got it from somewhere, and Jordan says, Dr. Westbourne also said someone approached her recently about identifying a drug. She looked it up, and surprise, surprise. The drug Oz ingested was the same one brought to her earlier. He says, who asked Britt about this drug? and she says, Spencer Cassadine.

Arden asks if Trina can account for her whereabouts when Josslyn and Cameron were secretly filmed having sex? Trina says she was in her room. She had too much to drink, and was sick. Arden asks how many drinks she had, and Trina says, one, but she’s not used to whiskey. Arden says, she’d have the court believe she fell ill after one drink, and Trina says, that’s what happened. She felt dizzy, hot and cold, and she went to her room and eventually went to sleep. Arden asks if she remembers the events of that evening, and Trina says, Josslyn told her what happened, but Arden says she’s asking about Trina’s own memories, not Miss Jax. Trina says, she remembers playing Never Have I Ever, but not what anyone said. Then she remembers running out of the room, and then talking to Josslyn through her bedroom door. Arden asks how Trina knows she was in her room for the rest of the evening, and Trina says, because she knows she was. Arden asks if she doesn’t remember retrieving the phone she used to film her best friends, and Trina says, she doesn’t remember because she didn’t film them. Arden asks, then how did the phone come to be in her possession? and Trina says, because she was set up by Esme Prince.

Ava looks in the mirror, and sees a bruise on her shoulder. She says, damn, and dabs makeup on it. Nikolas comes in, and she asks if he found Esme.

Michael tells TJ that he can’t find Willow. Did TJ get her test results, and is everything okay with her and their baby? TJ flashes back to Willow asking him not to say anything to Michael, and tells Michael, he hasn’t seen her, but as far as he knows, she’s still here. She probably can’t get to a phone. Michael says, she’ll get back to him when she can. He’s trying not to hover, but obviously, he needs to work on it. TJ says, Michael just found out he’s going to be a dad; he’s allowed to care. Michael thanks TJ for looking out for Willow, saying, TJ’s been good to her. TJ says, A, that’s his job, and B, it’s easy to be good to Willow; she’s a special person. Don’t you forget it. Michael says, as if he would. She’s really changed his world, and now they’re having a baby. He can’t say those words enough after how these last few months have been. TJ congratulates him, and says he wishes them every bit of happiness. Michael says, they’ve already been blessed with Wiley. Now they get to experience parenthood again. How lucky can he get?

Willow lies on the operating table, and Terry says she’s administered local anesthesia to Willow’s spine. But without the sedative, she’s about to feel a sharp pain. Willow says she knows. She’s ready.

Curtis tells Jordan, so Spencer asked about the same drug bartender Oz OD’d on. That can’t be a coincidence. She says, according to Dr. Westbourne, Spencer brought her a single capsule, saying he found it. When she pressed him, he said admitted it belonged to Esme. He says, so Esme had access to the same drug Oz took; the one she apparently gave him. What else did Britt say? She tells him, Spencer said he was concerned because he never observed Esme taking this medication. When Britt told him the side effects, he asked what would happen if someone took it with alcohol. Curtis says, the tox screening said Oz ingested the opioids with alcohol, and she says, from that medical chart he didn’t want her to know about? What’s significant about the alcohol connection? If Spencer witnessed Esme taking this drug with alcohol, he would have noticed her getting extremely ill. He says, what if it wasn’t Esme?

Arden says, as stated in multiple witness testimony, Miss Prince was not in the cabin at the time the video was taken. Trina says, she didn’t have to be. She could have put the phone on a timer, or started the video before she left the cabin. Arden says, and yet, Commissioner Ashford testified the phone was recovered in Trina’s bag, and Trina says, Esme planted it. Arden asks if she has proof, and Trina says, no. Arden asks her to speak louder for the record, even though we heard her just fine, and Trina repeats, no. She doesn’t have proof. Arden says, surely if Trina believes Miss Prince framed her, she must have some idea of when she planted the phone. Trina says, she’s done nothing but think about it, and don’t call her Shirley. There was a day when she went to Spring Ridge to visit Spencer Cassadine, and she left her bag on the  table when they were talking. It wasn’t always in her sight, and Esme was there that day interning. Arden says she has the list of staff present at Spring Ridge on the day Trina visited the facility. If Trina believes that’s when the phone was planted in her bag, isn’t it true that any of the staff members could have done it? I object on the grounds of stupidity, and Trina says, why would they? She doesn’t know them; they don’t know her. The only person is Esme Prince. Arden says, the fact is, Trina was the only one in the cabin with Josslyn and Cameron the night the revenge porn video was filmed. No one can account for her whereabouts; not even her. The phone that filmed her friends was found in her bag, and contained her credit card information. Nothing backs up this fanciful story of hers, that Miss Prince filmed the video and planted the phone on her. Diane objects, saying, Arden is badgering the witness. Judge Young sustains, and Diane adds, is there a question anywhere in their future, or is the Assistant District Attorney simply going to use her client as an excuse to expound her own absurd theories? The judge says, duly noted, and tells Arden, if she has a question, ask it. If she doesn’t, sit down. Arden says, no further questions, and Diane says, redirect. Judge Young says, proceed, and Diane says, Trina testified that she and Esme were not friends. Trina says, they weren’t, and Diane asks if Esme and Josslyn were friends. Arden objects, hearsay, but Diane says she’s going to ask her client about interactions she specifically observed between Esme and Josslyn. The judge says he’ll allow it, and Diane asks if Trina ever observed tension or hostility between Josslyn and Esme. Trina says, Josslyn hated Esme from the jump. She called Esme out every chance she got. Diane says, called her out? and Trina tells her, Josslyn said Esme is a liar, and a manipulator. She said to Esme’s face that she didn’t trust her, and they weren’t friends. Diane asks if it was just one altercation, but Trina says, it went on for months, before and after the cabin. Diane asks how Esme reacted when Josslyn called her out, and Trina says, sometimes she acted hurt; other times, she got angry. Diane asks how Esme’s anger showed itself, and Trina says, Esme told Josslyn that she was spoiled and entitled, and that she’d be sorry for what she did to Esme. Diane says, Esme Prince told Josslyn that she’d be sorry, and Trina says, yes. Diane says, and was Josslyn sorry when Esme filmed her most intimate moments, and uploaded them for the entire world to see? Arden objects, and Diane says, withdrawn. She asks if Trina loves her friends, and Trina says, with all of her heart. Diane asks if she’d ever hurt any of them, and she says, never. Diane says, no further questions, and the judge tells Trina to step down.

Nikolas tells Ava, he found the spot where Esme fell, but she wasn’t there. He did find this. He shows her a shoe, and she says, they don’t know if Esme is dead or alive. He says, between the height and the rocks, she could have broken her neck or drowned, but Ava says, they both know that fall is not necessarily fatal. Exhibit A. He says, if Esme lived, what would she say happened between the two of them?

Post operation, Terry says that she’s personally walking this biopsy to the lab, and will let Willow know the results as soon as she gets them.   The nurse will be in shortly to take Willow back to her room, so she can get dressed and be discharged. Just rest until they get here. Willow thanks her, and Terry says, they’re working to rule out other possibilities. Willow says she understands, and Terry says, she did so good. She leaves, and Britt asks if she can take Willow’s picture and hang it on her office wall with a little plaque that says, Bravest Person of the Year, and Willow says she’s hardly that. Britt pulls a stool over and sits. She says, Willow is still brave if she talks to someone and tells them what’s going on. Oversharing can be a positive experience. Willow says, not always. She doesn’t think she can handle the concern. She’s not that brave or strong. Britt tells her not to sell herself short, or Michael. All we can control is what we have now. Willow says, Britt sounds like she really understands, and Britt says, it comes with the job.

Finn gives Elizabeth some water, and asks if she needs anything else, but she says she’s good. He says, don’t hate him, but he doesn’t think she is. Can she tell him what happened? She says she was just delivering some lab reports to Terry’s office… oh, reports. She starts to get up, but he says, it’s okay. He talked to Epiphany. She got a nurse to collect the reports, and she took them to Terry’s office. She thanks him, and sits back down. He says, so she was on her way to Terry’s office… She says she was on the stairs like she’d been doing all day, and he says, and? She tells him that she lost her balance, and he asks if she fell. Is she hurt? She says, no. She caught herself, and lowered herself to the ground where he found her. He says, she was pretty out of it. She didn’t recognize him at first. She says she was just trying to get her bearings, but he says he thinks she might need more than a physical exam. She says she’s not hurt; she just pushed herself too hard on her first day back. He suggests getting a neurologist to check her out, and she says, he thinks she needs her head examined.

In her closing argument, Arden says, of course (🍷) people spin all kinds of stories to hide the truth. That’s why in law we have to rely on facts and evidence. The evidence in this case clearly points to one person – the defendant Trina Robinson. Diane gets up, and says, no one saw Trina set up the phone to record Josslyn Jax and Cameron Webber. No one saw Trina send the email. The evidence in this case is purely circumstantial, and as such, is open to an alternative interpretation. Esme Prince was threatened by Trina’s relationship with Spencer, and took revenge by framing Trina, by filming and distributing revenge porn, which of course (🍷) had the added collateral benefit of humiliating Josslyn Jax. (I have to interject that throughout this day of trial, Spencer has alternated between looking very uncomfortable and looking like he’s going to fly out of his seat.) We know Esme Prince was gone from the cabin when that revenge porn was filmed, but just as an email can be timed in advance, so can a camera on a cellphone. And Esme Prince had the means, opportunity, and a far more compelling motive than Trina Robinson. The prosecution in this case has utterly failed to meet the burden of proof. Now it’s the jury’s responsibility to see that justice is served. They must find Trina Robinson not guilty. Court is adjourned, and Arden tells Diane, nice closing, counselor. Diane says, yes, it was especially good, wasn’t it? and laughs. Portia says she’s so proud of Trina, and Taggert says, that makes two of them. Trina says she told the truth. Now her fate is out of her hands. They hug.

Jordan says, what if it wasn’t Esme? but Curtis says, think about what they know about Esme Prince. She’s sharp. She orchestrated a sex tape, and posted it without any evidence leading back to her. So let’s say she slipped Oz the pill in order to prevent him tying her to the phone. Does Jordan think it was a coincidence Oz was drinking, or did Esme set it up that way because she knew what the combination of the drugs and alcohol would do to him? Since Spencer didn’t think it was a prescription, let’s say Esme did obtain the opioids through less than legal means. Let’s say she researched it because she had another idea in mind. Maybe Spencer did see someone acting strangely after taking the pills mixed with alcohol. She says, like… He says, Trina. The one drink she had at the cabin, she got sick and blacked out. He thinks they can both agree that’s not normal. What if her reaction wasn’t from the drink? What if Esme spiked it? She says, if he’s right, they need to talk to Esme.

Ava tells Nikolas, she came back ready to pack her things and leave, and she ran into Esme. Ava flashes back to Esme saying she’s leaving town, and says, she couldn’t let Esme leave, not when Trina was being framed for her crimes. She tells Nikolas, told Esme that she had to confess, that she wouldn’t let someone who’s like a daughter to her pay for Esme’s actions. She remembers Esme asking where her motherly devotion to Kiki, and if Trina was filling the read void of the daughter Ava drove away. Ava says, she hit Esme. She cut Esme’s lip with her ring. Nikolas says, Ava came home, Esme taunted her and came at her. She had to defend herself. Ava says she knows what he’s trying to do, but she’s still going to look like the aggressor. The cops are going to want to know why she didn’t walk away, and how Esme ended up falling over the parapet. He says, there were no witnesses. Even if Esme did survive, it’s Ava’s word against hers. Ava says, everybody knows she hated Esme. He said himself, the staff heard them fighting. Ava’s DNA is probably all over her; evidence of an assault. If Esme is alive or dead, she’s certainly going to be implicated.

Jordan says, Esme is getting more desperate by the day. Curtis’s bartender is proof of that. He says, Oz is the only one who can prove Esme bought the phone that filmed Joss and Cam, but he’s in a medically induced coma, and they don’t have time for him to wake up. She says, which makes Esme their best lead at this point. She’ll do everything she can to get something out of her. Jordan’s phone rings, and she says, …okay. She’ll deal with it herself. She tells Curtis that there’s a situation that requires her immediate attention that could have repercussions for Trina.

Portia asks how Diane thinks it went; no sugarcoating. Diane says she never sugarcoats. They accomplished what they set out to do. Taggert says, create reasonable doubt in the jury’s mind, and an alternate suspect, and Diane says, a viable suspect. Now it’s just up to the jury to come to the right conclusion.

Trina asks Rory if it’s mean for her to want Arden to vanish in a puff of smoke, and he suggests throwing a bucket of water on her and seeing what happens. Spencer heads toward Trina, but Josslyn intercepts him. He says he can just walk around her, and she says, he did a really nice thing for Trina. Leave it at that. Rory says, Trina’s testimony was very impressive, and she asks if he’s just saying that. He says, she was strong and passionate. There’s no way the jury won’t believe her. She says, it doesn’t hurt she got help from the last place she expected. Josslyn says she will admit she didn’t think Spencer had the guts to stand up there, and say that Esme framed Trina, and he says he told her, Esme’s not his girlfriend anymore. She says, ex or not, she’d pay actual money to see Esme’s face when she finds out that Spencer said she framed Trina.

Nikolas says, Esme could have evidence on her that incriminates Ava, and she says, they have to strategize. He says, fact number one, Esme’s gone, and fact number two, questions will be asked, and they have to have answers, especially for Spencer. She says, answers that do not involve the police. Spencer will want to know why Esme was leaving. Nikolas says, Esme didn’t tell her; no one would expect her to. She says, and if Spencer doesn’t buy it? and he says, things were not always good between them. He just gave Trina an alibi in court. Ava says, and if Esme’s found and her DNA is on her? Nikolas says, she fell into the rocks or the water. Most of Ava’s DNA probably washed off. Not to mention, they lived in the same house. Traces of Ava’s DNA would be on Spencer and the staff… on him. She says, what about the suitcase? and he says, they’ll put it someplace so that if anyone goes looking, they’ll find Esme’s things gone. I can’t believe they’re not pawing through that suitcase, as well as whatever she was leaving behind. He says, no one ever needs to know what happened. Get dressed, and meet him downstairs. She says, wait. What if Esme turns up alive?

Finn says he doesn’t think Elizabeth needs her head examined, but they both know vertigo can stem form psychological causes, not just physical ones. She says she definitely doesn’t need more counseling; he can trust her on that. He says he does trust her, but clearly there’s something going on with her. If she doesn’t want to do it for herself, do it for her kids. They need their mom to take care of them. She says, how dare he accuse her of not being able to take care of her kids? I make the decision that a relationship with Elizabeth is just too damn much work.

Willow sees Michael, and he asks where she was. She wasn’t returning his calls, and he was starting to worry. She says, the doctor wanted to run another test, and he wonders how many tests she needs to take. She says, if she’s learned anything from her nursing class, it’s that GH insists its doctors be as thorough as possible. He says he doesn’t remember Nelle taking this many tests when she was pregnant with Wiley. Then again, she wasn’t exactly honest with him. She says, maybe procedures have changed since Nelle was pregnant, and he says, she seems off. Is everything okay? She says she’s having a baby with the love of her life. What’s not okay? he says, so the appointment went well; no surprises? She says, none worth repeating, and he says, okay.

Finn says, Elizabeth is an amazing mother, and she asks, then where’s he going with this? He says, if there’s a chance something is wrong, doesn’t she want to know for her boys’ sake? and she looks at him like he has two heads. He says, when she checked herself into Shadybrook, she said it was as much for them as it was for her. Doesn’t she want to be healthy and whole for them? She says she’s not broken, and she’s got to go back to work. She opens the door, and Terry is there. Terry asks how she’s feeling, but Elizabeth storms past her. Terry asks Finn, what happened? and he says, something is very wrong.

Nikolas says, if Esme is alive, they’ll deal with it, and Ava says, with any luck, Esme will never be found. They’ll tell the staff she left in a huff (or a minute and a huff), and that she didn’t say where she was going. They’ll look for her. He says, they’ll take care of this. The truth stays between them, he promises. He won’t let anything happen to her.

TJ says he got Curtis’s text; what’s up? Curtis says, Trina is running out of time. Her best chance at freedom is in a medically induced coma. Curtis needs him to wake up. TJ says, waking from a medically induced coma isn’t like flipping a light switch. It takes time, there can be risks… Curtis says, but can it be done? and TJ says, it can be, but he’s not authorized to do that. Curtis says, an innocent young girl could be sent to prison. If there was ever a time for drastic measures, it’s now. Or tell him what he can do. TJ says, he needs Curtis to understand, this will just as likely kill him.

Trina says she owes Spencer an apology for going off on him earlier, but he says, she owes him nothing. He should have spoken up from the start. She says, he testified on the stand that he thought Esme made the revenge porn and posted it. When did he figure that out? Jordan walks in, and says, Spencer is under arrest for escaping Spring Ridge, and Trina says, but he went back. Spencer says, it’s okay, and Jordan reads him his rights. He looks at Trina as he’s walked out the door.  

Tomorrow, Trina asks if Rory thinks they can just be friends; Josslyn tells Cameron, as his girlfriend, she has a right to know; Sonny wonders if Brando is asking him to spy on his wife; and Sasha feels like having fun tonight.

Fear the Walking Dead

Alicia is being carried on a stretcher. She’s in and out, and alternately sees zombies and the people carrying her. Alicia is parked on the beach, as everyone gets the rafts ready. Alicia says hi to a bird, and Jacob says, she’s waking up. He calls for June, and June tells him to get saline and epinephrine, and tells Alicia that she’s low on fluids. Alicia asks why the rafts are being prepped, and June says, she doesn’t remember? The tower is burning. When the walkers from the canyon burn, it’s going to be released into the air. Alicia asks where they’re going, but June says, they don’t know. Alicia wonders where Morgan ended up, but June says, he hasn’t landed yet. Alicia struggles to get up, but June tells her she can’t; the fever will kill her. Alicia asks, where the hell is Victor? but June says, he didn’t want to come. Alicia asks if they know where is he, but June says, as far as they know, he’s still in the tower. Alicia looks at the column smoke rising in the distance, and gets up, telling them to put everyone in the rafts, but June says, Alicia needs rest. Alicia looks around, and notices a girl in a mask. She says, someone heard the message, and calls, over here. The girl goes in the other direction, and Alicia says, come back, and follows. She tells the girl not to run away, and the girl says, she’s not running. She has to find her friend. Alicia says she wants to help, and the girl says, then help her find her friend in there, and gestures toward the tower. He knows how to get to Padre. She runs into the smoke, and the smoke gets heavier. Alicia walks into it after her.

A zombie struggles, caught under a shopping cart, and Alicia stabs it in the head. Luci radios, asking where Alicia is, and Alicia walks up to an armored truck. She tells Luci that she found the girl she told Luci about; she might know where Padre is, and they need a place to go. Luci asks why Alicia left on her own, and Alicia says she can’t put them in danger. Don’t come looking for her. She walks on, and has a flash of seeing zombies. The girl says, over here, and walks into the smoke. Alicia asks what she knows about Padre; is it real? The girl turns out to be a zombie, and Alicia slashes its head into a pile of mess. She looks at her artificial arm, and it morphs into a melting skeletal arm. She looks at her reflection in something, and sees a zombie. She opens her eyes, and she’s inside the truck. She sits up, and the girl says, it’s okay. Alicia passed out on a body; the girl heard her scream. Alicia asks how the girl got her in here, and the girl says she dragged Alicia. They almost didn’t make it. Alicia asks her name, and says, she’s Alicia. The girl says she knows; she heard Alicia’s message. That’s why she was at the beach. Alicia says the girl can take her mask off, but the girl says she doesn’t take it off. Alicia says, the girl helped her in the woods; why didn’t she stay? The girl says she was looking for her friend. She asks why Alicia is sick; is it her arm? Did one of them bite her? Alicia can tell her. She’s not scared of bites. Alicia says, it doesn’t matter; there’s nothing she can do about it. Alicia looks through the stuff in the truck, and asks if the girl’s friend can really help them find Padre. The girl says, yes, but they have to find him first. He’s all she’s got left; he’s like family. She asks what Alicia is looking for, and Alicia says, anything to bring down her fever. The girl asks if fevers don’t come from infections, and Alicia asks how she knows that. The girl says, her mother says she’s too smart for her own good, and Alicia says, her mom said the same thing about her. A huge lightbulb comes on over my head, and I know who the girl is. Alicia says, this infection is different. She’s been fighting it a long time. The girl asks if Alicia found Madison, and Alicia looks at a tape labeled Amina. She asks how far away the girl’s friend is, and how she’s going to contact them, and the girl says, the same way Alicia contacted her when she heard the message. Alicia says, that’s not going to work. The tower is on fire, and the irradiated dead are headed there. Alicia barely made it here. They’ve got to get to the rafts before the dead get to the flames. The girl says she’s not getting in a raft, and aims a gun at Alicia. Alicia takes it out of her hand, and says, it’s not loaded. Has she looked for bullets lately? There’s none. The girl asks why Alicia followed her, and Alicia says, to help save her friend, but also to do something that will outlast her. The girl asks if Alicia thinks she’s going to die, and Alicia says, look at her; she might not make it to the beach. This thing is going to beat her, and she won’t be able to help her friends. The girl says, Alicia is wrong. She can beat it and help her friends. Alicia insists that’s not true, but the girl says she was bit too, and she’s still here. She shows Alicia scars on her arm, and says she needs to get to the tower and make contact with her friend. He saved her, and he’ll save Alicia too, then get them to Padre.

Speculative Spoiler: I could be very wrong, but I wonder if Alicia is talking to herself. They’ve already been borrowing heavily from Z Nation. Why not again?

They walk, and Alicia asks when the girl got bit, and how. It must have been a while ago. The girl can trust her. She’s here, isn’t she? A zombie comes toward them, and the girl says she’ll deal with it, but Alicia says, she won’t even reach its head. The girl hands Alicia a bullet on a cord, and Alicia asks where she got it. The girl says she found it near the truck. Shoot him. Alicia has a zombie flash, and stabs it in the neck. She falls to the ground with it, and it grabs ahold of her. The girl whacks it with a hammer, and asks if Alicia is okay. She almost got herself killed. Alicia says, the walker is mulch, and the girl isn’t hurt. There’s nothing to be upset about. They start walking again, and the girl asks why Alicia didn’t use the bullet. Alicia says, it would have drawn more dead, and the girl asks why Alicia has a bullet if she’s not going to use it. Alicia says, so she doesn’t turn, and the girl asks if Alicia has dreams about turning; she had them too. Alicia asks if she still has them, but the girl says, no. It was only when the fever was really bad. Her friend will help Alicia. She’s not going to end up like one of them. Use the bullet next time.

They walk closer, as the tower burns. Alicia says, they need to go to the rafts, but the girl says, maybe other people got Alicia’s message. Alicia can go if she wants, but she’s staying. Alicia says, this is impossible, and the girl says, what about the other people who heard Alicia’s message? Is she going to let them walk into that? Alicia says, when they see it, they’ll turn around, but the girl says, they won’t know to go to the beach. They could end up someplace worse. They need to go. Alicia says she can’t push much further, but the girl says she’s not leaving. She walks toward the tower, but Alicia stops her. Alicia says, if they go in there, they’ll both die, but the girl says, they’ll die if they stay out here. Alicia asks what she means, and the girl says, Alicia knows what she means. Alicia faints, and the girl fights off some straggling zombies. She tells Alicia to stay with her, and gets on the radio, asking if there’s anyone there.

Alicia is on a rolling cart, and Sarah says, she’s waking up. They stop, and Luci says, they weren’t going to leave without her. Dwight takes off the straps holding her to the cart, and Alicia asks how they found her. He says, they heard her SOS. A new guy says, hello, and Sarah tells Alicia, his name is Josiah; he’s friendly. Alicia asks, where is she? and Dwight says, who? Alicia says, the girl who helped her. She can help them get to Padre. Luci says, they don’t even know if that place is real, and Alicia says, the girl helped her kill the walkers. Dwight says, it sure looks like Alicia killed them, and Alicia sees her arm weapon (weapon arem?) has blood all over it.  

Alicia says, the girl saved her twice; it’s blood from before. She wipes it off, and June says, Alicia is still burning up. Alicia wonders where the girl is; she was there. Josiah says, Alicia was alone when she went back to the tower, and Luci asks why she did that. Alicia says, to send a message; the girl wanted to find her friend, and she promised to help. She has to go back there. Sarah says, Alicia is going on the raft, by force if she wants to play it that way. Alicia says she’d be doing the same thing if she were in their position, but she’s not leaving. Luci asks why it’s so important, and Alicia says, the friend is going to tell her how to save them. June says, the raft is their best shot, and Alicia says, the girl was bit, but she’s alive, and her friend helped. She’s been dreaming of turning into one of them for months. She doesn’t want to die, and she doesn’t want to turn. The girl’s friend can help her live. June asks if Alicia is sure she’s not just saying that because she wants it, and Alicia says, she knows how it sounds, but she’s real. Daniel says, when people doubted him, it didn’t feel good, and Sarah says, but he didn’t have all his faculties. He says, maybe he still doesn’t, but Alicia helped him think more clearly. He can’t let he go on her own; he’s coming. Luci says she owes Daniel one, so she’s in, and June says, she’ll clear the tunnel faster with help. Dwight says, Sherry will kill him if he lets Alicia go by herself, and Sarah says, she doesn’t want be the only a-hole who says no. She tells Dwight, let’s get us some crispy critters.

Alicia keeps trying to radio the girl, when she finally answers. Alicia asks where she is, and the girl asks if Alicia thinks she can get to the roof, but Alicia says, it’s too dangerous to do on her own. She’s coming, and her friends are clearing the tunnel. The girl says she’s on the stairs, but the radio goes dead. Alicia takes out the bullet, and Luci tells her, if she talks to the girl, ask if they can get in there. Alicia says, she talked to her, and she’s going in. June says, not alone, and Sarah says, they’re not leaving. Josiah says, they opened it pretty good, but he can’t be sure it will stay stable. Alicia says, they need to get to the raft. If she learns where Padre is, she’ll radio them. Sherry needs Dwight, Sarah just found her brother, and Daniel’s got to be there for Charlie. She tells Luci that they’ll need someone to show them the way, but Luci says, they have Alicia. Alicia says she has to do this on her own, and Luci nods, saying, she’ll see Alicia and the girl at the shore. Alicia goes inside, and the door closes behind her.

Zombies toddle around the tower as it burns. Alicia goes upstairs wearing a mask, but then takes it off. She thinks about being a zombie, and radios the girl, asking, where are you? Are you in the stairwell? The girl says she’s on the roof and needs Alicia’s help, but Alicia says she’s not sure she can make it. The girl says, she has to; it’s the only way. Alicia stops, pants, and says to herself. you can do it. She sees a bird flying up through the stairwell.

She opens the roof door, and the girl says, over here. Alicia says, you’re alive, and the girl says, so are you. Alicia says she doesn’t want to die; she’s not ready. She suggests they find the girl’s friend, and gets the radio, but she sees it’s been burned by the fire. She yells, no! and the girl says, what? She tells the girl, it’s broken, but the girl says, it’s okay. Alicia says, they need to get in touch with her friend, and the girl says, they still can. Her friend isn’t out there; he’s in the tower. That’s why she wanted to come. Alicia says, her friend (and I say in my head, Victor), what’s his name? The girl says, Victor Strand, and I pat myself on the back for figuring everything out so early on. The girl says she’s sorry she didn’t tell Alicia sooner, and Alicia flashes back to Victor saying, those people were never part of his vision… She’s never going to forgive him, even if he saves everyone, because the damage has been done… He’s trying to save her life… Alicia says, no; it doesn’t make sense. She remembers Victor saying he knows she thinks he’s a monster, but he’s the same man he’s always been. She can’t stop what’s coming. Alicia says, right. She shouldn’t have come. The girl says, Victor needs her to help him, and Alicia asks why she should. The girl says, Victor is her family. He can save them; save us. Alicia knocks the girl down, and holds the pointy end of her arm to the girl’s throat. She asks if anything the girl told her is true, and the girl says, Victor can help her if she helps him. Alicia says, no, and the girl asks if she’d rather die than save him. Alicia says she would, and the girl asks, why? Alicia says, Victor took everything from her, and the girl says, don’t let him take her life too. If Alicia leaves him, she’ll die. Alicia keels over, and asks the girl why she cares what happens to Victor, but the girl says, it’s not about Victor. It’s about Alicia.

Alicia hears the door clank, and tells the girl, wait. Where is she going? No one’s there. She goes back inside, and sees the bird. She wonders why the girl would come in here, and keeps walking. She comes to Victor’s quarters, where the lights are flickering. Victor says, who’s there? Is there a visitor? Alicia says, Victor? and we see Victor, lying in bed with an empty booze bottle next to him. He asks if his mind is playing tricks on him, but Alicia says, it’s not a trick, and flops into a chair. She says she’s here, and he says, she’s got to get out. She says she can’t, not now. She’s not going to make it. He says he’s sorry. he wanted to give her everything. She says, he didn’t give her anything. He took everything. He asks if it’s because of what he did to Will, but she says, Will is just another person she outlived. So many people had to die so she could live. He says, this is about her mother? but she says, it’s about so much more. It’s about making what her mother gave them, mean something. What she didn’t get was to make a place that would last beyond herself. He says he’s so sorry for everything, and she puts the bullet in the gun. He tells her, don’t do that. If she turns, he deserves anything she does to him. She says, it’s not for you – she flashes on the zombie side – it’s for me. She puts the gun to her head, and says she’s sorry. She remembers Will and Charlie, and says again, she’s sorry. She remembers Luci, Daniel, Morgan, and Madison. She sees the bird on the windowsill, and tells it to go. Please leave, goddammit. She thinks about Madison telling the story of Amina, and how Alicia had decided that bird was going to live. Alicia walks over to the bird, and we hear Madison say, the bird lived because her kids didn’t give up on her. Alicia holds out her funky glove-covered hand, and the bird hops on. She says, maybe this is the last thing she was meant to do. She tries, unsuccessfully, to smash the glass, and the girl helps, smashing through the window. Alicia holds her hand out the opening, and the bird flies away. She thanks the girl, and asks why she came back. The girl takes her mask off, and says, because she can’t leave Alicia. Alicia says, no… I… I don’t understand. The girl says, she does, and Alicia says, you’re… me. (Another pat for me.) Alicia hears Madison say that Alicia gave them a chance when there aren’t a lot left in the world, and asks why the girl brought her hear. The girl aka Little Alicia, says, Alicia knows why. It’s on that tape. Alicia looks at the Amina tape, and the girl says she was wrong. Her mom didn’t die to build something like this. She died so that part of Alicia didn’t give up on the people who would live. She shows Alicia the scars on her arm, and says she wasn’t lying when she told Alicia hat she survived the bite. So will she. She’s the only one who can make sure this isn’t the end for her. Alicia says, she can’t; she’s going to die. The girl says, not if she makes sure people remember this part of her, and Alicia asks, how? The girl says, Alicia knows how. She has to save Victor.

On the beach, June tells everyone, don’t leave anything behind. They don’t know how long they’ll be out there. They get the rafts ready, and June says, they can’t miss the tide. Alicia will catch up. They can’t be there when the walkers catch fire. Try to stay clustered in case they get separated. Luci says, they’re shoving off, when Alicia radios that she needs help. Luci asks where she is, and Alicia says, the MRAP. She can’t make it much father. Luci asks if she found the girl, and Alicia says she did; she found someone else too. Victor says, they’ll never take him, but Alicia says, they will if she asks. He coughs and groans a little, and asks, why save him after everything he done. He laughs, and says he asked her mother the same question. She asks what her mother said, and he tells her, she said she did it because she knew who he was.  Alicia asks if he thinks she really did, but he says, not like Alicia. So he’s asking again, why save him? She says, it’s not about him; it’s about her. So he can do what she doesn’t when she’s gone; find a place where everyone is safe. He asks if she thinks he can, and she says, she’s not sure, but she think he’ll try. He tells her, stay with me, but she fades out.

June feels Alicia’s forehead, and says, she’s waking up. She tells Alicia, don’t move. She’s got to get fluids. They’ll make the raft as comfortable as they can. Grace says, the readings have spiked. They’ve got to go. Alicia asks Grace to tell Morgan something for her, but Grace says, Alicia can tell him herself, and hands her the radio, saying, Morgan wanted to talk with her too. Morgan asks, is that her? and Alicia says she’s sorry she didn’t do what she said she would. He says he got Mo in the raft, and that’s all that matters. He wanted to tell her that she might be right. He’s heard chatter on the radio. There might be a Padre. He thinks Padre is real, and thinks they might actually have someplace to go to. How about that? How is she feeling? She says she needs to tell him something. No matter what happens to her, he won’t be doing it alone. He says, no, because she’ll be all right, right? He hears only static, and asks if she’s there. Mo cries.

Grace tells Alicia, if he didn’t hear, she’ll make sure he knows. Charlie comes over to Alicia, and Alicia says she’s sorry she couldn’t stop it from happening to her. Charlie says she’s sorry she wasn’t there for Alicia, and Alicia tells Daniel, look after her. Charlie says she knows it’s going to be okay. She got to do something she never thought she would. They finally got to see the beach. Alicia says, they did, and Daniel says, it’s time. Alicia tells Daniel, it’s going to be oaky, and Daniel says, he wasn’t there for Ofelia at the end, but he can be there for Charlie. He will see Alicia again. Sherry says, they’ve got to go, and she thanks Alicia for taking them in. Luci says she’ll be in the raft with Alicia, but Alicia says she has to do this alone. Victor says, no she won’t. He gets in, and says, they’ll rough it out together. Alicia says, stop, and gets out of the raft. She doesn’t know how fast she’ll turn. He says he’s willing to take that risk, but she says she’s not. It’s up to him – she chokes up a little – to make sure everything they’ve been through means something. People may have heard her message, and are headed to the tower. He cries, and says, she did make it mean something. She saved all of them. She saved him. She did what he asked back in Lawson. She pushes his raft into the water, and says, she didn’t just save him so he could live to do what she couldn’t. She did it because she loves him too. He smiles, and she laughs.

The rafts go down the river. Victor waves, and Alicia waves back. Alicia falls to her knees, then all the way down.

Alicia opens her eyes and sees the bird. She looks good, like fully made up good. She sits up, and sees everyone is gone. She drinks some water, and feels her forehead. She takes a reading, and the girl appears. Alicia asks what she’s doing here, and the girl shows Alicia her arm. The scars are gone, and Alicia asks what it means. The girl says she thinks it means Alicia saved her. How does Alicia feel? Alicia says, she feels… like she hasn’t felt in a while. Like herself. They smile at each other, and Alicia picks up her mask and the gun. The girl asks where she’s going, and Alicia says, to find people who heard her message. She’s going to spend whatever time she has left making sure they have someplace safe to go. They smile again, and a zombie comes down the beach. Alicia walks toward it, shoots it, and continues to walk in the direction of the tower, as she puts her mask on.

Next time – the finale – weird people who wear hoods grab Morgan, accuse him of stealing their children, and try to bury him alive. Madison returns.

General Hospital

Elizabeth walks in, and everyone yells, surprise! A banner hangs over the fireplace that says, Happy Birthday, Mom!

Curtis says, the premium liquor has arrived, and Nika says, no one’s going thirsty tonight, unless they’re too interested in the music to drink. He says, unfortunately, they might have nothing to do but drink. Their band from Detroit just canceled. She says, Downtown? He’s kidding. He says he wishes he was. Every band within a 50 mile radius is booked. He’s afraid there isn’t going to be any live music at The Savoy tonight.

Maxie asks Sam how her trip was, and what is she doing at GH? Sam says she’s there to pick up her mom, and Maxie asks if her mom isn’t in prison. Sam says, her mom has been released.

On the phone at the hospital, Dante says, Novak is undergoing tests right now… He doesn’t have a description of the attackers yet; he’ll get that later. He has to go over to the PCPD… Okay. He literally runs into Alexis as he goes around the corner.

Nina orders a chardonnay at the bar in Charlie’s, and Shawn says, he knows her. Nina Reeves, right? She says, Shawn Butler, right? Long time, no see. He says, and at Charlie’s of all places, and she asks, what’s wrong with Charlie’s? He says, nothing. Great pizza and bar snacks. Just not what he expected would be the first choice of the editor-in-chief of Crimson. She says, it’s a long story, but she is persona non grata at the MetroCourt, and a pariah in town generally. It’s the price she has to pay for choosing to stay in Port Charles.

Outside, Phyllis tells Sonny, it looks like a nice place, but she already told him, she’s not hungry. So what are they doing here? He says she’s about to find out, and smiles.

Trina meets Josslyn at Kelly’s, and says she brought Josslyn’s stuff. Josslyn thanks her, and apologizes for not doing it herself. Volleyball practice ran late, and with studying for exams, she couldn’t make it back to the dorm on time. Trina says, that’s all right. The room is so cluttered with her Photo Ark exhibit; she’ll clear it out. Josslyn says, that’s okay. She should have the place to herself to focus, and doesn’t need Josslyn in the way. Also, she’s going to be home late tonight, so don’t wait up. Trina says, she’s coming back tonight? She thought Josslyn was spending time with her family. Josslyn says she’s sorry she misled Trina. She and Cam are at his place tonight; they’re studying for midterms. Trina says, she needed her toothbrush and toothpaste for that? Deodorant? Her favorite soap? A sexy pair of undies? Why does she have the feeling that Josslyn and Cameron plan on doing more than studying for midterms? Josslyn says, Trina’s right. Tonight, she’s losing her virginity to Cam. She waits, then says, well? She’s telling Trina that she’s going to have sex for the first time in her life, and she’s just sitting there. Doesn’t Trina have anything to say? Trina says, that explains the scented candle she had to pack. Josslyn asks why Trina is acting like her having sex with Cam is no big deal, and Trina says she knows it’s a big deal for Josslyn and Cam. She figured it would happen sooner or later. She just thought they planned to take things slow. Josslyn says, it was never a plan to go slow, but life keeps interrupting. Every time things would heat up, something crazy would happen. Trina says, like her stepdad returning from the dead? and Josslyn says, exactly. And before that, she was distracted by her mom and Jason’s wedding. Plus, it’s semester one in college, with full-time volleyball. On top of that, Cameron doesn’t even live on campus, so opportunities have been scarce. It was never spontaneously the right moment, so they need to make the right moment happen. That’s what they’re going to do tonight.

Finn adjusts a birthday hat on Elizabeth, and Cameron asks if she likes the banner; Jake supervised it. She says, all the way from Washington DC? She’s happy he took time out of his trip to collaborate on the banner. There are balloons everywhere, and she says she can’t remember the last time their house was this dressed up. Aiden says, it was for her wedding anniversary with Franco, and Elizabeth says, right. Silly of her to have forgotten. The doorbell rings, and Cameron goes to get it. Finn says, the boys and Violet really wanted to throw her this party. Bad idea? She says, no. She loves that the kids wanted to do this for her. They also threw her a surprise party at work. It’s really nice to be celebrated, which is so ironic since she kind of hates parties. Nikolas joins them, and says, what’s this about hating parties?

Shawn says he’s sorry Nina is having a difficult time. She thanks him, but says, she brought it on herself. He says, that may be true, but it doesn’t make the day to day any easier. He sympathizes. She says, that’s right, he… That’s right. She asks how it feels being back in Port Charles, and he says his family’s great. It’s been a while, but things are going well. She asks if he has any advice he’d like to share with her, and he says, there’s no rule that says what they’ve lost is lost to them forever.

Sonny and Phyllis go into Charlie’s, and see Nina at the bar. Phyllis asks if he wants to go somewhere else, but Sonny says he’s good. He asks how she likes the place, and she says, it’s homey, good energy. She tells him that he looks relieved, and he says, he’d hate to think he made a bad investment. She says, he bought this place? He says, lock, stock, and bar, and she hugs him.

Alexis tells Dante that she hasn’t escaped, and he says, that wasn’t his first thought, but what is she doing there? She says, meeting, nine months, and shows him her chip. He tells her, congratulations, and asks if they don’t do that at Spring Ridge. She says, apparently, he hasn’t heard. Him being the victim, she would have thought the Department of Corrections would have notified him, but she’s been pardoned.

Maxie says, Sam’s mom was released? That’s incredible. Sam and her sisters must be thrilled. Sam says, it’s been an eventful few weeks, and Maxie says she got Sam’s text that she had to go out of the country. Where’d she go? Sam says, Crete, and Maxie says, as in Greece? Didn’t Anna and Valentin go there? Why was Sam there?

Curtis tells Nika, Downtown’s booking agent just called and said he accidentally double-booked the band. So they’re in Hanover, Michigan right now. She asks if he’ll get his money back, and he says he’ll get his deposit back. He’s out the money for the advertising and liquor, but more important, his customers are out of a great experience. He doesn’t want The Savoy to look unreliable, like sometimes you get a live band, sometimes you don’t. He doesn’t want it to look like they’re doing the old bait and switch. Pull people in, promising live music, that never materializes. Portia comes in, and says, not to worry. The show will go on.

Josslyn tells Trina, she and Cam have been letting life dictate their relationship. Suddenly, she realized they’re missing out on something really important, and they need to commit. Trina asks, what’s with this suddenly? and Josslyn says, she doesn’t mean it like that; she just means lately. Trina asks, what made her decide lately that now is the time to commit to something with Cam? and Josslyn says, what’s with the third degree? This is just the next step. Trina says, Josslyn knows she’ll support any decision she makes, and if she says she’s ready to have sex with Cam, then she’s ready. But she wouldn’t be Josslyn’s best friend if she didn’t say it seems impulsive. It actually fells like a knee jerk reaction to… something. She gets the feeling there’s more to Josslyn’s decision than she’s saying. What is Josslyn not telling her?

Nina says, to tell Shawn the truth, she lost the love and friendship of someone she cares about… a lot, and she doesn’t see it coming back any time soon. He says, never say never, but until then, he could always use a friend. She says, he might want to give that a second thought, because he’s connected to one of the people she wronged.

Phyllis asks, what’s going on? Is Sonny looking to recreate his experience at the Tan-O? He says, no; the Tan-O’s irreplaceable. He just feels like if you have a bar and restaurant with people who enjoy it, and someone to manage it right, you can make money. He checked the numbers there, and it’s a good investment. So does she think there’s potential? She says, sure. It’s got a terrific, welcoming atmosphere. He says, great, because he needs someone terrific to manage it. She asks why he’s looking her, and he laughs. He says, because she’s a miracle worker with a bar, and this is a bar without a miracle worker. She says she knows exactly what he’s up to.

Portia says, when Curtis told her the band canceled, and he was having a hard time finding a replacement, she realized she could help. He asks if she was a member of a professional rock band, and never told him, and she says she wishes. She has a patient who plays bass in a band called Punch Drunk. It’s actually very popular. He says, and not available. He already checked. She says, they’re taking a break from touring, but Isaac agreed  to do the gig at The Savoy tonight, as a favor to her. He says, because she saved his life? and she says, the point is, now he’s going to save Curtis’s. Curtis hugs her, and says he can’t repay her, but she says he’ll think of something. He says, she’d better believe it, and they kiss. A man goes to the bar (hint: we’ve seen him before), and Curtis says, duty calls. Curtis asks what his bartender can get for the man, and the man says, two fingers of bourbon, and a good show. Curtis says, both orders, coming right up.

Elizabeth thanks Nikolas for the gift, and helping her celebrate. Cameron takes the gift bag, and Elizabeth asks if Nikolas would like a drink, but he says he’s okay. Cameron’s phone dings, and then the doorbell rings. He says he’ll get it, and opens the door to Scotty. Seeing the phone in Cameron’s hand, Scotty asks if he’s day trading or learning the new TikTok dance. Cameron says, what? but Scotty says, never mind. He tells Finn that he needs to talk to him, but he doesn’t think Finn is going to like it. Finn wonders what he did now, and Scotty says he doesn’t have an update on Obrecht, Britt is off the radar, and Anna’s not returning his calls. Finn asks what that’s got to do with him, and Scotty says, he wants Finn to get his girlfriend to update him.

Sam tells Maxie, they were looking for Peter, just like Anna and Valentin, but they didn’t want to say anything to her, because they didn’t find him. Maxie says she figured Sam would have told her, and Sam says she’s sorry; we tried. Maxie asks, what’s with this we? Who went with Sam? and Sam says, Dante. Maxie says, the PCPD sent Dante to Greece? It seems a little out of their jurisdiction. Sam says, Dante didn’t come as a cop; he went with her as a friand. She had a hunch, and he wanted to help. Maxie says she’s glad Sam had back-up. She knows how dangerous Peter can be. Sam says she doesn’t know what she would have done without him, and Maxie asks if Sam and Dante are more than friends. Are they an item?

Alexis tells Dante that Nikolas lobbied the governor for a pardon; she didn’t advocate for one. She actually thought she should serve out her sentence. She doesn’t think she has the right to be free. Dante says, when he testified, all he asked her to do was take responsibility for what she did. She says, she understands, and promised she would, and he asks if she kept her promise.

Finn says he and Anna aren’t together any more, and even when they were, she never talked to him about WSB business. Scotty says, what about Nikolas? Greece is his stomping grounds. He must have someone over there who could help him find Obrecht. Nikolas says he wishes he could, and Scotty asks, what about all those resources Nikolas promised him? Nikolas says, they didn’t pan out; he’s sorry. Finn says they all feel for Scotty, but it’s Elizabeth’s birthday. The kids went all out, so maybe there’s something more festive they could talk about? Scotty says he didn’t mean to skunk up Elizabeth’s birthday. It’s bad enough he parachuted into their camping trip. Finn flashes back to almost kissing Elizabeth, and Cameron brings out the cake.

Josslyn tells Trina, Esme invited her and Cam on a weekend getaway, and assumed they’d wan separate bedrooms. Trina says, she’s losing her virginity because of Esme? and Josslyn says, of course (🍷) not. This isn’t about her and Esme; it’s about her and Cam. They’re in college; they’re adults. Trina says she guesses, but doesn’t that mean they should be making their own choices? Josslyn says, she thought she was? and Trina tells her, she said with a question mark. Josslyn says she despises Esme, which means she extra hates the fact that Esme pointed out that she and Cameron weren’t having sex. She wanted to slap Esme, but also realized she makes a valid point. They’ve waited too long already. They should be together. Trina asks why it sounds like she’s checking something off a bucket list, instead of making a physical and emotional commitment to Cam?

Alexis says she did try to keep her promise to Dante, and to her daughters, and to herself. Most of all, to be accountable for what she did; no excuses. Dante says, she didn’t try; she did. She pled guilty, she accepted her sentence, she went to Pentenville. Hell, she even helped out prisoners, like Shawn. She says, but she didn’t serve out her sentence; she was released. He says, that wasn’t her. Other people made those decisions. When is she going to stop carrying the burden of guilt on her back?

Sam tells Maxie that she wouldn’t call her and Dante an item, but they do care about each other. Maxie says, like good friends, or something more? Sam says, they might have come to realize they may have a future together, and Maxie says, oh my God. She never would have predicted this. Then again, she never would have predicted her fiancé would be a monster and she’d be separated from her baby girl. Sam says, that’s an interesting comparison, and Maxie says, what? Sam says, when Maxie just lumped her seeing Dante with two negatives. Is Maxie trying to warn her off Dante because he used to be married to one of her best friends?

The man tells Curtis, he’s heard good things about this place. Is he the owner? Curtis says he is, and introduces himself, and the man says, he’s Link Brown. He’s looking forward to the entertainment tonight. He’s been following Downtown for a while. Curtis says, sorry to disappoint him, but they just canceled. Luckily, they were able to schedule and incredible replacement, and thinks he’ll be equally impressed with Punch Drunk. He tells Nika that Link’s first drink is on him. Link thanks him and sits down, and Portia says Curtis is pretty good at this nightclub thing. Clearly following his instincts and making a career change worked for him. Curtis says he’s just a man who knows what he wants. Portia’s phone rings, and she says, Isaac. She’s at The Savoy right now. She’ll let him talk to the owner so they can discuss the details… The band’s not coming? Why not? Link watches.

Sonny asks what he’s up to, and Phyllis says, distracting her. Offering her an opportunity to feel vital again. He says, there hasn’t been a second in her life when she wasn’t vital. She says, maybe she fooled him, but after Lenny died, she felt so disconnected, even before the Tan-O burned down. He says, that’s normal; everything that was familiar is now up in the air. She says she guesses they’re both navigating new lives, and he says, his new life is his old life. She asks how he’s handling the transition, and he says, it would be easier if she agreed to manage Charlie’s. He trusts her. She says, she’ll go freshen up, and when she returns, she’ll see if Charlie’s bartender was as good as the Tan-O’s. She leaves, and Sonny looks over at the bar. Nina tells Shawn, don’t get her wrong. She loves bubble gum ice cream, but she forgot to cancel the grocery delivery. When she got home and opened the freezer, there was about 50 gallons of it.

Everyone sings Happy Birthday, and Elizabeth blows out the candles on the cake. Violet says, Aiden made the cake himself, and Cameron asks how old is she now? Elizabeth says, hey, watch it. She can’t wait to taste the cake. Aiden says, it’s not as good as the one him and Franco made last year, but Finn tells him not to sell himself short; it looks amazing. Scotty says, Aiden made the cake; his mother will love it. Cameron asks if they’re ready to start slicing it. Aiden has to get to his sleepover at Riley’s, and Elizabeth has to see Downtown at The Savoy. He goes to get more napkins from the kitchen.

Nina goes to the restroom, and Sonny goes over to Shawn. They hug, and say it’s good to see each other, and Sonny says he’s been meaning to get in touch with Shawn since he heard Shawn got out. Shawn says he’s sure Sonny’s had a lot to deal with since he’s been back, and Sonny says, he owes Shawn. Carly said she offered Shawn to come back to the business, and he doesn’t want to do that. Sonny understands, but whatever Shawn needs to get back on his feet, sonny is there. Shawn says, they’re squared away. Sonny made sure he was taken care of in Pentenville; his friendship is good enough. Sonny says it looks like Shawn took care of himself, and Shawn says he’s just trying to navigate through life. Sonny asks what he’s up to, and Shawn says, it’s a lot to get into now. He has several irons in the fire.

Nina says it’s good to see Phyllis. What brings her and Sonny to Charlie’s? Phyllis says, Sonny offered her a job managing the place. Did Nina know he owns it? Nina says she heard something about that, so what does Phyllis think? Is she going to take the job? She’d personally be more than thrilled if Phyllis stayed in Port Charles. She just makes everything better with her sheer faith and tenacity. Phyllis says, how about Nina? How’s her faith these days? Nina says, it’s a bit shaky.

Maxie tells Sam, she’s just trying to say life can be unexpected, and hard, and it’s nice to have someone to be there for you during the rough patches. She’d never begrudge Sam that someone. Sam thanks her, and they hug. Maxie asks if Dante is that guy Sam said kissed her a while back, and Sam says she has to go. She’s got to find her mom.

Scotty goes to the kitchen, where Cameron is on his phone, and asks if there’s someplace Cameron has to be. In the living room, Elizabeth says she’s kind of tired, and asks if Finn will take a raincheck. Scotty asks Cameron, what’s going on? He’s as nervous as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs. (That’s the second time I’ve heard that this week. Captain Lee said it on Below Deck too.) Cameron says, he’s just expecting company, and Scotty says, tell his mother. He’s sure she’ll get out of his way. Cameron says, it’s more of a privacy thing he’s worried about, and Scotty says, if he lived on campus, he could put a sock on his door. Cameron says, living there is cheaper, plus he can help his mom. Scotty says he’s a good kid. With Franco being gone, he had to grow up faster than most. Elizabeth listens in, and Cameron says, it doesn’t feel right that Franco’s not there celebrating with them, and not there for other things. Scotty says, giving Cameron advice, and Cameron says, he was good at that. Scotty says, no one can replace Franco, but he’s there. He won’t tell Cameron what to do, but he’ll listen.

Trina says, Josslyn and Cam should stop thinking about what they should, and do what feels right. Use the stuff in the backpack, but only if it feels right. Josslyn checks the time, and says she should head to Cam’s house. She starts to leave, but turns around and says she has a confession to make. Trina isn’t sure if she can handle two in one day, and Josslyn says she lied when she said she was too busy to get her things herself. The truth is, she needed a reason to talk to Trina. Trina gives her something she can’t check off the list. She needs Trina to know she’ll always be so lucky to have her as a friend. Trina says, same, and they hug.

Curtis tells Portia, one band cancels, it’s bad luck, but a second? It feels like something more. She says, according to Isaac, some of the other band members read some unsavory things online about The Savoy attracting mob violence. Curtis says, dammit. Is this about that Joey Novak and Carly Corinthos thing? He handled it. She says she knows, and so do his regulars, and he says, now he understands why Downtown had a scheduling conflict. This is exactly why he didn’t accept protection from Jason. He didn’t want his club to be associated with any kind of mob connections. How is he supposed to book any legitimate acts now? Link approaches, and says he didn’t mean to overhear Curtis’s conversation, but it sounds like there’s no live music tonight? Curtis says, he’s afraid not. The second act canceled too. Link says, where Curtis sees loss, he sees opportunity. Does Curtis believe in accidents, because he sure doesn’t.

Finn asks if Elizabeth is sure she doesn’t want to change her mind about The Savoy. He knows she was interested in hearing the band Curtis booked. She says, he’s right. It’s her birthday, and it’s a great band; she’s going to rally. He says, good for her, and Violet says she has icing all over her fingers, but no napkin. Finn excuses himself for an icing emergency, and Nikolas tells Elizabeth, happy birthday again. He hopes all her wishes come true. She says she hopes his do too, and opens the door. Josslyn is there, and tells her, happy birthday, handing her a gift. Elizabeth suggests Josslyn grab some cake before she and Cameron hit the sheets books.

Curtis wonders how two cancelations could turn into an opportunity, and Link says, he happens to be traveling with a performer who has a gig in Buffalo. Tonight is his night off. Curtis asks if he represents the performer, and Link says, he’s his producer. He loves jamming between gigs. It keeps him sharp, and he can have fun without a set list. Curtis says, sounds good, but what makes Link think his artist would be interested in performing there? Link says, he was already coming to hear Downtown, it won’t take much to entice him to perform, especially in a venue of this caliber. Curtis says there’s no time to draw up a contract, and Link says, whatever Curtis was paying Downtown will work for his guy. Curtis says, as much as he appreciates Link’s generous offer, he’s not sure Link’s artist is the right fit for his club. Link tells Curtis to check his website, and decide for himself, but he’s sure the partnership will benefit all of them.

Nikolas looks over Trina’s shoulder at her tablet, and says, incredible. She says, aren’t they? Ned Quartermaine had the same reaction. Did Ava tell him about the Photo Ark exhibition she’s putting together? He says, not only did she tell him, she can’t stop bragging about how Trina came up with the idea, made the connection, and got Ned to underwrite the exhibition. Ava is very proud of her. Trina says, Ava is a great boss and mentor, and generous with people she cares about. Nikolas says, Trina and his wife are a lot alike in that way. Trina cares about her friends and Ava. She even supports his son. She says she’s not sure Spencer would agree. She gave him an earful at the gallery. Nikolas asks if she knows where his son is right now; he wanted to talk to him. She says she hasn’t seen him since he left the gallery, and he says he’s surprised Spencer didn’t pick up another shift. Since Spencer renounced his name and his inheritance, Nikolas thought he worked every second to earn money. Did she convince Spencer that he didn’t need his family fortune? She says, she kind of told Spencer that he needed to be his own man, not a money grubbing little phony. He says, good for her, especially since his son listened to her. Maybe she’s the only person who can get through to Spencer.

Phyllis says, Nina is facing some daunting challenges, but if she keeps on putting one foot in front of the other, one day she’ll look around and see how far she’s come. Nina says, what about Phyllis? Will she take the same steps, and accept Sonny’s job offer? Sonny joins them, and says he wants to know the answer himself. Phyllis says, the answer is yes, and Sonny hugs her. She says she’ll be honored to manage his bar. He asks when she wants to start, and she says, as soon as she heads somewhere quiet to share the news with Lenny. It’s good to see them both. She leaves, and Nina says, offering Phyllis a job was brilliant. Better than gifting her Charlie’s. He says, Nina was right earlier, when she said Phyllis wouldn’t accept a gift of that magnitude. Nina says, Phyllis will just dip her toe in the water, and see how it works out. Maybe it will be permanent, and she’ll stay in Port Charles. She tells him that he cares about the people he loves just as much as Mike did, then says, she’s sorry; that came out wrong. He says, that’s okay. He knew what she meant. Shawn comes by, and tells Sonny it was good to see him, shaking his hand. He gives Nina his number in case she wants to continue their conversation, and Nina says, she’ll take him up on it. He leaves, and Sonny says, he’s a good guy. Nina agrees, and says, the Tan-O was so magical. If Phyllis can do half as much to Charlie’s… He says, this place is going to be magic. She says, he misses the Tan-O? and he says, the best place on earth, and smiles.

Trina says, she’s not equipped to be the one who gets through to Spencer, but Nikolas says, don’t sell herself short. She’s having a positive influence on his son. She says she’s only tried to be a good friend, and he says, even if Spencer hasn’t always been a good friend to her. He’s afraid his son learned his bad habits from him, but she says, Spencer learned his bad habits from Spencer. He says he wishes that were true. In the past, he made the mistake of not treating his friends and family well, but at least Spencer has her in his life. He hopes Spencer recognizes how lucky he is, and continues to listen to her.

Dante walks past Maxie, saying, see ya, and she says, Sam told her that they were seeing each other. How’s that going? He says, it hasn’t been easy, and she says, making the decision to move on never is. But anyone who loves him would want him to be happy.

Elizabeth comes downstairs after glamming up, and Finn says, wow. Violet says, she looks so pretty, and Elizabeth thanks her. Violet says, daddy has to get dressed up too, and he says, just as soon as they get home. Carrie is meeting them there. Cameron asks if they shouldn’t get going. They don’t want miss the band. Finn helps Elizabeth on with her coat, and it’s the cutest thing. Cameron opens the door, and says, have fun. Scotty comes out of the kitchen, and says he put the food away and did the dishes. Elizabeth thanks him, thanks Josslyn for the gift, and leaves with Finn. Scotty pauses at the door, and tells Cameron, Franco would be proud of him. He’d want Cameron to be patient and safe. He shakes Cameron’s hand. Cameron closes the door, and sees that Scotty has slipped him a condom. Josslyn says she guesses they’re finally alone, and he puts it in his pocket. He walks closer to Josslyn, and says, finally. You know what’s going to happen, right? He’s going to forget that’s in his pocket, and Elizabeth is going to be washing his pants, and…

Curtis looks at the website with Portia and Nika, and Portia says, he’s so good. Curtis says he’ll be lucky to have him. He gets a text from Linc saying, singer’s a go, and he texts back, so are we. He says, is this really happening? They just had a major singer fall into their laps. Portia says, karma’s on his side, and he says, ladies, tonight The Savoy will be poppin’. They fist bump.

Outside, Linc says, it’s all settled. He offered the singer to Curtis, and he was sold. Crisis averted. Linc did like he asked. We see it’s Marshall, and Linc asks if they’re all settled up.

Tomorrow, Portia tells Elizabeth that she’s not ready to move on, Cameron wonders if they should take it to the bedroom, Carly asks Curtis if her presence is a problem, and Nina asks if Sonny is using his power to keep her out of it.

Winter House

Paige told Ciara about Andrea bench pressing her. He was being flirty and would make out, but not ask her on a date. She didn’t think he’d asked her one question about herself. Austen told Craig about his date with Ciara, and said, it felt nice to be liked again. Craig said Madison was so toxic, and he’s so right there. Paige said Ciara was giddy, and Ciara said it went well, but she was freaked out. She was scared to like someone, and afraid to be vulnerable. Paige asked if she’d rather not find love because she’s closed off, and in Ciara’s interview, she said she had daddy issues, and a fear of rejection. The housemates were planning a low country boil, and in Craig’s interview, he explained the process. Austen wanted oysters and champagne as well, and Craig said he thought that was weird at a boil, but Austen was an idiot. Andrea said the two things he loved most were eating and the ladies, and he wanted to keep his options open. Gabby had been pissed about Julia acting flirty with Luke, and in Julia’s interview, she said Gabby was clearly upset with the lack of attention, but she was taken, and Luke looked like her brother. She’d like to move on. She brought a glass of wine to Gabby as an olive branch, and promised to be more aware. Paige was concerned about repeating the same pattern of finding guys who would make out with her, but didn’t care about getting to know her. Amanda told her not to overthink it.

Everyone got all dressed up for the boil, although I have no clue why. Lindsay said it had been rough this trip, but she had to move on, and we flashed back to Austen friendzoning her. She told Jason that for once in her life she wanted to focus on herself, and I wondered when she hadn’t focused on herself. Julia thought Luke, who was wearing a faux fur coat, looked like a Justin Timberlake hot version of a pimp, whatever that means to you, and she wanted to jump his bones. In Luke’s interview, he said he had no idea what she was saying about him, but he could see she dug him a little bit. Craig said they were going to say cheers with their bottles of champagne, shake them up, and throw them in the air. Andrea put on a trash bag, and I mean that literally. Paige was weeping about being single to Ciara and Amanda in the kitchen, when Andrea walked in, and couldn’t do an about-face fast enough. It was pretty funny too, since he was wearing that trash bag. They each took a bottle, and went outside. Craig thanked them for coming, and they sprayed champagne everywhere. Luke told Julia, let’s get out of here, and they went to his, her, or somebody’s room. Julia told Luke her thoughts, and he said he thought she was beautiful, but saw them as friends. Julia said she saw no strings, but if it became more, then beautiful, but Luke said he had to be real. In Luke’s interview, he said, on paper, he and Gabby were a match made in heaven. But he just wanted to figure out which beer to drink, while Gabby was concerned about her mantra for the day. It was awkward. How did you say no? This is exactly what he did with Hannah in Summer House, although I’m pretty sure they had some form of sex. Craig said he was lonely, and Gabby came back out, and told them that she’d just gotten rejected. She took off, and in Craig’s interview, he said he’d had a big crush on Paige years ago, but she had a boyfriend. Now he has a girlfriend. It’s that old bastard, timing.

Andrea asked Paige why she’d been crying, and she said she’d gotten emotional with her girlfriends. He said he was thinking maybe they could go somewhere, and she wondered if he was asking her on a date. He said he was, and she said she’d love to. In Andrea’s interview, a producer asked if he’d felt obligated to ask Paige out, but he said no. He’d been planning on it. He wanted to see her happy again. Amanda had a hard time getting out of her skinny jeans, and I identified. Of course, I usually don’t try to take mine off over my shoes. Andrea told the guys that he wanted to get to know Paige more, and brought her coffee. She asked if he’d really asked her out. Andrea arranged for a sleighride, and Kyle and Amanda FaceTimed with his parents. Kyle said it was weird being in Stowe without them, and they should join him and Amanda next time. At first, I thought he said it was weird being stoned without them, which gave it a new meaning for a millisecond. In his interview, Kyle said he practically came out of the womb on skies. He wanted Amanda to feel like part of the family, and for that, she’d have to ski.

Jason said he’d been raised by strong, independent women, and found those to be attractive qualities. He was intrigued with Lindsay. Apparently, he confuses psychotic behavior with being strong and independent. Andrea told Paige that he wanted to go back to Italy eventually, but planned to spend a few more years in the states. In Paige’s interview, she envisioned a mountain top wedding; lemon trees and prosciutto. They made hot toddies, which made me think of Erika Jayne. I’ve never had a hot toddy, but I’m getting one asap now that it’s getting cold out. Luke made ice blocks, and the group discussed Paige and Andrea’s date. Craig said, if you couldn’t see a future, what was the point of going on a date? Andrea had said he was enjoying being single, and Craig didn’t see it being long term. Lindsay said she thought it was weird for Andrea to take Paige on a date if on date if he wasn’t interested. Amanda thought she should tell Paige, and in Lindsay’s interview, she said, it was the classic game of telephone. In Amanda’s interview, she said if she were Paige, she’d want to know what was being said. Kyle was his usual mature self, seeing how loud he could yell, wassup? The evening’s dinner theme was Back to School, and they were to dress as stereotypes of high school. Nothing has ever been more appropriate.

Paige told Amanda and Ciara about the date, and said she thought she and Andrea would hang out after they got home. Everyone got in costume, and punk rocker Craig had some wild, high hair. In his interview, he said he’d been voted most dramatic in high school. Amanda was an art student; Austen, a jock; Paige, a prom queen; Julia, a cheerleader; Andrea, a nerd (all he knew of American high school was what he’d seen in the movies); Ciara, a teacher’s pet; Jason, a Boy Scout; Lindsay, a drunk principal; and Gabby, a private school girl. As an emo kid, Kyle looked like Alice Cooper, and Luke was a stoner, the opposite of what he’d been in high school. In Amanda’s interview, she fretted because Paige was on cloud 9. Luke slipped Julia a note, asking if she wanted to hang out later, and in Luke’s interview, he said he was only attracted to Julia. She said she had a boyfriend, but he’d heard they were off and on. The worst that could happen was, people would yell at him, and he was used to it. We flashed back to that, and I sensed a pattern here. There was a lot of drunken horsing around.

Lindsay kinda sorta spilled the Andrea beans to Paige, being vague, and saying Paige had to talk to Amanda. Not surprisingly, Amanda was pissed when Lindsay told her that she’d paved the way. Paige said her high school party had turned into actual high school, and I wondered if we’ve been watching the same show. When haven’t they been high school? Paige hunted Amanda down, and Amanda told her that Andrea said he didn’t see himself with someone after this. Julia told Luke that he’d made her feel uneasy. She knew Gabby was interested in him, and she had already squashed some drama. Kyle watched disapprovingly from the sidelines. Amanda started crying, and Craig said Andrea wanting to be single had nothing to do with Paige. Julia told Andrea that she was shocked, and he said he wanted to take things one step at a time. She said that was different than not wanting anything at all. Austen told Paige, all Andrea said was, if and when it happened, they’d have a conversation about how to move forward. In Paige’s interview, she wondered why take her on a romantic date? Don’t start what you can’t finish. Oh, and Lindsay and Jacob hooked up

Next time, a Viking drinking party, skiing with Kyle’s parents, Ciara says she’s in love, and Madison texts Austen. Omg, leave that guy alone already.

🏚 So, here’s my problem. These people are too old to be behaving like this. I would swear they were all 20 year olds who still lived at home. Or really, fifteen year olds who can buy liquor and stay out all night. I’m horrified, but can’t look away. It’s like the worst of Jersey Shore and Real World combined.

General Hospital

Alexis brings Sonny a gift for the baby, a sippy cup that says Corinthos Coffee. He tells her Carly will love it. She asks how Carly and Donna are doing, and he says, great. They’re just waiting to get the all clear to bring Donna home. Alexis gets a text from Julian that he needs to see her asap. It’s about her client. She says, that’s great news; it should take the edge off. Sonny says, the edge off what?

At Charlie’s, Brad gives Julian a new welcome mat, saying it’s more of a welcome back mat, since he’s not leaving. A fresh start. Brad says now that he’s not leaving, Julian will be able to be around Lucas and Wiley all the time. Julian says, there is that. Brad says since he’ll be there, Julian can help out when problems arise. Julian asks what problem has arisen. Obrecht again? Brad says, no. Nelle.

At Crimson, Sasha packs up her stuff. Michael asks if she’s got everything. She nods, saying, it’s just a few odds and ends; her notepads with her name on them. Nina was so great to her. Caring for her as a real daughter, bringing her into Crimson to start a career. Now her life is as random as what’s in the box. Michael tells her she’s strong and she’ll get her footing again. She says, just without Nina. She looks at a picture of the two of them.

Valentin tells Nina that he was worried. She asks if Charlotte is there, and he says, she’s with Lulu. Nina says, good. She’s just there to pick up a few things to tide her over, and she’ll be on her way. He asks where she’s going, and she says, anywhere but here. It’s none of his business anymore, where she goes or with whom. He says, the hell it isn’t.

Sasha asks Michael if he thinks she should leave a note, and he says it’s her call. She guesses not. Nina would just tear up anything that she left. She can’t stand how much she hurt Nina, but Nina isn’t ready to hear anything she has to say. Lucy blows in, and says Sasha is just the person she’s looking for. Sasha says she’s on her way out, but Lucy says, no. She made Sasha a once in a lifetime offer, and she keeps saying she wants to think about it. Michael says they have to go, but Lucy says they can, as soon as Sasha answers her question. Is she going to be the new face of Deception or not? Sasha says she’s way ahead of Lucy.

Valentin tells Nina, whatever happens, he’s still the man who loves her. He’s still the man who would lay down his life for her. She says, the man who would manufacture a daughter for her? He understands why she’s angry. Yesterday was a tumultuous ride for both of them. She says, it wasn’t a ride; it was a betrayal of everything she believed in. He says Sasha’s lies were reprehensible, but they were Sasha’s lies. She asks if he thinks she believes he wasn’t involved. He asks her to consider the source. Lulu had been drinking, and overheard a conversation in a public restroom. She heard what she wanted to hear. Nina says she doesn’t trust Lulu, but she doesn’t trust him either anymore. They were estranged, about to be divorced, and he had a conversation with her now dead mother about her child, who survived and was adopted. Miracle on top of miracle, he found that child. She was so stupid, she took Sasha in, and brought him back into her life. Sasha isn’t her child. Sasha is a con woman, and he’s telling her that Sasha not only betrayed her, but the great Valentin Cassadine. He says she’s right. He went looking for her daughter to get her back.

Dev asks Josslyn, what’s this? She says it’s the homework he missed. It’s better to try and keep up than get hit with a bunch of makeup homework later. He says, it’s not fair. He’s not allowed off the grounds, and now he has homework. All because she ratted him out to her father.

Alexis shows Sonny the text, and he says, that’s a lot of exclamation marks. She says, Julian does have a flair for the dramatic. Sonny asks why he’s not leaving, and she says he’s had a change of plans. Sonny says, Olivia is furious. She’s thinking of suing Julian, and he hopes she cleans him out.

Brad says he wants Julian to help protect Wiley and Lucas. Julian asks if it’s like the Obrecht situation. Does Brad want him to knock off Nelle? Brad says, Nelle is the last wildcard, and he needs help to contain her. Julian says, it’s too much. It’s Brad’s mess; he needs to clean it up. Brad says, what if he can’t, and Nelle spills everything? He and Julian have been seen together. Sonny will do the math, and put together that Julian was in it. And he’s not the only one. How does Julian think Lucas will feel when he finds out his father was a part of it? Julian asks if Brad is threatening him, and Brad says he’s making sure Julian knows where he stands. Julian grabs Brad by the throat, and says he wants to make sure Brad knows where he stands. He doesn’t take kindly to threats. Ava comes in, and says she doesn’t think Lucas would take kindly to Julian strangling his husband.

Josslyn tells Dev that she couldn’t keep lying to her dad, but her dad won’t sell him out. He wouldn’t do anything to hurt Dev because it would hurt her. Dev asks how it would hurt her if he got sent away? She says she’d feel responsible, so she’s doing what she can to fix it. She starts to type a text, and Dev asks what she’s doing. She says, fixing it.

Alexis tells Sonny that Julian seems committed to staying on the right path. She hasn’t seen any backsliding. Has he heard anything? Sonny says, not yet. She says, since Julian isn’t going anywhere, she thinks it would behoove them to continue to cultivate the current détente. He says she has more faith in Julian than he does.

Ava asks Julian if this is the afternoon floorshow, or do they require a referee? Julian says, the show’s over. Right? He tells Brad, give his best to Lucas and Wiley, and shoves him toward the door. Brad jets, and Ava asks if he’d like to tell her what that was all about. He says, it’s a family matter. Brad asked him to intervene, and he told Brad that he didn’t take sides. She says, so he was driving the point home by choking him? and Julian says, sometimes you need to be blunt, especially with people who won’t take no for an answer. She must know people like that. She says, a few, and tells him to pour her a drink and tell her about Nina’s wedding. She can’t believe he was invited. He says he gave Nina her start at Crimson. Ava says he hired her hoping she’d drive the magazine into the ground, so he could write it off as a loss. He thinks maybe Nina wanted to rub her success in his face, but he didn’t go. She was hoping for some juicy details, and wonders if Nina tripped going down the aisle toward her groom of doom. He says he heard Nina’s eyes were opened before they said their vows. He went to the reception to drop off a gift, and it was a ghost town, except for a few people taking advantage of the open bar. Apparently, Nina stormed out of her own wedding.

Sasha tells Lucy that she’s sorry, but has to pass. Lucy says, funny, and good. A good spokesperson should have sense of humor. Michael says Sasha is serious, and Lucy says, that’s insane. Sasha knows it’s an incredible opportunity, and Lucy says, piffle. She didn’t even begin to negotiate yet, and it’s more than incredible. She wants to give Sasha a stake in the company; she’ll have her own voice. Sasha says she might want to rethink that in the light of recent developments. She no longer comes with a Crimson connection. She no longer has a relationship with Nina. The truth is, she never did. She’s not Nina’s daughter. It was all a hoax, and came out at the wedding. Michael is surprised it hasn’t hit the tabloids yet. Sasha says Lucy doesn’t want her affiliated with her company. She’ll be notorious. Lucy says, notorious is kind of great. Notorious sells. She says, they’ll make bajullions, and hugs Sasha.

Jax’s phone signals that he has a text, but he doesn’t check it. Nina says, so Valentin admits it. He says he admits he wanted to find her daughter, and it got the ball rolling, but Sasha’s actions were her own. Nina says they’re done, but he grabs her arm. Jax tells him, let her go, and Valentin tells Jax, get out of his house. Obrecht comes in, and says Nina is all right. She acknowledges Jax, but Valentin says, Jax was just leaving. Jax says he’s not going unless Nina wants him to, but Nina says she can take care of herself, and it sounds like someone wants to get ahold of him. Jax looks at the text from Josslyn. It says, waiting on u; plz help Dev. He tells Nina that he’s just a phone call away. He leaves, and Obrecht says, bagel? Nina says she has no appetite. Valentin tells her, leaving him solves nothing. Nina says, maybe, but it’s a good way to start. She says, it’s over; they’re through, and goes to pack her things.

Ava tells Julian that she knew Sasha was too to be good true. Does he think Valentin paid Sasha to be Nina’s daughter? He says, of course () Valentin denied any involvement, and she says, of course (🍷). Obviously, Nina doesn’t believe him, or she wouldn’t have left him at the altar. He says she’s enjoying this because it’s Nina, but Ava says, a year ago, she may have felt differently. Now that her life was destroyed by an obsessive man’s lies, she can’t celebrate that kind of pain anymore. Not even Nina’s. He tells her, feel that? That itchy, stretchy feeling? It’s called growth. He’s proud of her. Ava asks him to give her his best bottle of scotch and two glasses. He says, scotch? and she says, it’s more portable than vodka martinis, and vanquishes demons just the same. He says, at least she and Nina are free. Nina is done with Valentin, and she’s done with Ryan. Ava says, it’s not always easy to make a clean break. He’s living proof. If Kim hadn’t come along, he’d still be pursuing Alexis. Maybe he would have even worn her down. He says, doubtful, and she says, guess who just walked in? Alexis smiles at him.

Neil says his vitals aren’t bad. Panic attacks aren’t uncommon. Has he had prior experience with therapy? It’s nothing to be ashamed of, and it’s treatable, but first, they have to get down to the root of the problem. We see Brad sitting on the couch, and he says, that’s easy. It’s his father-in-law, and his son’s mother… and his son’s father.

Sasha tells Lucy that she’s hurt Nina enough already. She’s not using publicity from the scandal for her own end. Lucy is sure Nina would understand. Michael says he’s not. Lucy says Crimson’s revenues soared when Nina put Ava on the cover. Nina did that, so don’t act like it’s not a moral thing to capitalize on a good thing when you see it. Sasha says she’s not capitalizing on anything. She can’t do it. Not to herself or Nina. She loves Nina, and hates how much pain she caused. Lucy asks if Sasha believes she’s the first person to be embroiled in a scandal. Lots of people go through it. The public loves when the guilty are redeemed. Sasha says, there’s no redemption here, and Lucy says, yet. Does Sasha think punishing herself will make up for everything she did to Nina? Sasha says, no, but not making a media spectacle is a start. Lucy asks if Sasha really wants to make amends to all the people she’s wronged, and Sasha says, of course (🍷). Lucy asks how she’s going to support herself while she’s doing it. Does she have a new job? She looks at Michael. Or a sugar daddy? Sasha says, absolutely not. Lucy says, atoning is a lifetime endeavor. It’s not just repentance and lit candles. You have to live your life. If Sasha is skittish to take advantage of her mistakes, she can soften that. That’s what a media trainer is about. Forgiveness is two things; reparation and presence. If she wants to make it right to the people she’s wronged, she has to be in their face. She can’t make reparations by retreating into the shadows. Otherwise, how does anyone know she’s repenting? Lucy says she did it. She put herself out there, and went everywhere. Now everybody loves her.. Well, except her dry cleaner, but everyone else loves her.

Obrecht tells Valentin, Nina was still in her wedding gown, and she came in with Jax. Are they supposed to assume the two of them are… Valentin asks Obrecht to tell him. Jax is such a gentleman. Would he take advantage of a runaway bride on her wedding night? Nina comes out, and Obrecht tries to approach her, but Nina says she’s not talking to her. She’ll send for the rest of her things. She tells Valentin, one more thing. He said when he talked to her mother, she’d said her daughter was alive. Was that a lie? Never mind. What was she thinking? She can’t believe anything he says. Valentin says, don’t say goodbye. His life is meaningless without her. She says, that, she can believe, and leaves.

Sonny answers the door, and it’s Jax, who asks if Dev is there. On the terrace, Dev tells Josslyn, only fifty more assignments to go. She says he got off easy because he’s a hero. He asks if they’re still saying that, and she says she did rescue Wiley from that manic. They’re still talking about it. He says, Sam is the hero, not him. She says he still rates, but he says they didn’t know he was in the process of running away. She says, taking off on his own? He’s brave… but stupid. He says her flattery is overwhelming him. She asks where he was going. How was how planning on taking care of himself? He says he can manage. He got to Port Charles on his own. She asks if he didn’t think about the people he would hurt by leaving. He says Sonny would understand. Her mom probably would have been relieved. Max might have missed him taking the car and speedboat out. Who else did he miss? She said, people. Is there someone he missed? Would she miss him? She says, hardly, and he says he’d miss her too. She says she didn’t say she’d miss him. He says, not to his face, but he guarantees it’s in her diary. He grabs it from her, and she says, that’s private. He says, let’s see what she’s writing about him. She tries to take the diary back, and they end up face to face.

She asks if she can have the diary back now, and he lets go. He says he was just having a little fun, and she asks if he would think it was fun if she looked through his things. He says he wasn’t going to read it; her secrets are safe. She asks him to promise he’ll leave it alone, and he promises. Sonny and Jax come outside, and Sonny says Jax has something he wants to tell them.

Alexis asks Julian, what’s so urgent that it required three exclamations points, and an asap? He shows her a flyer, and asks if she knows about these. They’re all over the neighborhood; questioning his A rating, the quality of his meat, and claiming he waters down the liquor. Customers are starting to ask questions. Ava says, the liquor is just fine. She can attest to that. He says he knows Olivia is behind it, so tell her to cease and desist, or he’ll sue. Alexis suggests he give Olivia back her deposit if he wants to rectify things. He says he’s not giving back the deposit. Besides, he already used it to put a deposit on a place in New York. Since he backed out, he can’t get his back, so why should he give Olivia hers? I dunno. Maybe because it’s the law? Alexis says, no justice, no peace, and he says, she thinks this is funny? She asks why he doesn’t finish the sale, and buy something else? He says he likes Charlie’s. He’s put his blood, sweat, and tears into it. She says he’s only been there two years; how invested can he be? Ava says, Charlie’s is more than just a restaurant. It’s where Julian landed when he started over. It’s a new era. Neil tells Brad, open adoptions are quite common now. Does Brad’s son have a relationship with his biological parents? Brad would rather not go into details. He just wanted some meds to help with his nerves. Neil says he can’t prescribe something without determining the underlying issue. He assumes Brad came there to get at the root of his anxiety. He tells Brad to take a deep breath, and Neil about his mother. Brad just looks at him, and Neil says, just a little shrink humor to get Brad to relax. Brad says he’s not relaxed. The reason he has anxiety is, his son was kidnapped. He was taken away, and every day Brad worries that it could happen all over again.

Lucy tells Sasha that she knows being the face of Deception might seem like an improbable road to redemption, but Sasha can use the platform any way she wants. Sasha says she just wants to make things better for Nina. Nina had everything taken from her, and Sasha wishes she could give something back. She doesn’t care how the world sees her. Nina comes in, and asks what Sasha is doing there. Sasha says she was getting her things. Nina sees that she has them, and tells her, get out. If Sasha comes there again, she’ll call security. Lucy suggests Nina ease up a little. Nina asks if Lucy heard what happened, but Lucy tells Nina, she’s just saying Nina should take into account that Sasha is extremely remorseful. And she did bring a bit of happiness to Nina’s life. Nina says, all Sasha brought into her life was a pack of lies. She’s lost everything because of Sasha; the man she loved, the aunt who she thought loved her, her home, her self-respect, her reputation, and Charlotte, the closest thing she’ll ever have to a real daughter. That’s why she came there. To remind herself that at least she has Crimson. Her job is the only worthwhile thing she has left. Sasha says she’s wrong. She still has Valentin and Charlotte. Sasha did this on her own.

Jax says now that he’s been brought him up to speed, he’s given the situation a lot thought. He’s not contradicting Sonny’s story. If anyone finds out the truth, it won’t be from him. Josslyn thanks him, and he says he thinks this is the one time taking action would be counter-productive. Jax flashes back to telling Sonny that he’s made a decision about Dev’s situation. He doesn’t want to destroy Dev by uncovering the lie. He won’t put Josslyn through that, and he doesn’t want to put Dev in any more danger. He hates being part of Sonny’s cover-up, but doesn’t see an alternative. He’s going to leave things as they are. Sonny thanks him, but Jax says, don’t thank him just yet. Back on the terrace, Jax tells Josslyn that she’s given him a lot to think about. He doesn’t want to stand in the way of her helping Dev. Sonny started this lie, and they’ll have to live with it.

Sasha tells Nina that Lulu never heard her say Valentin’s name because he wasn’t involved. She got a call from the lawyer who handled her adoption, Carter Buckley. Michael says she doesn’t have to do this, but she says she does. She says he told her that a P.I. was looking for the daughter of a wealthy woman and she’d be about Sasha’s age. He figured they could orchestrate things so it would look like she was that daughter. The plan was to get money from Nina, and they would split it. He was dying, and wanted to provide for his family. Nina asks why he chose Sasha, and Sasha says he handled her adoption; he knew no one was looking for her. She needed the money, so she said yes. Carter died soon after, and Nina knows the rest. What Sasha thought would be a brief meeting turned into so much more. It became harder for her to keep her distance. She wanted Nina to believe the lie, but she wanted to believe it too. She didn’t want to lose Nina. That’s the truth. Nina says she’s good. She’ll give Sasha that, but no way she did this on her own. Valentin had to be the one who set it up.

Obrecht tells Valentin it’s possible she was a bit premature when she suggested there was a way out of their predicament. Nina may never take them back. He says Nina is his life. He can’t accept a future without her. Obrecht says she’s never seen Nina so hurt and angry. Time to get while the getting is good. He asks where she’s going, and she says, Switzerland. It’s lovely this time of year, and since she’s a citizen, it will be impossible to extradite her, should Nina choose to press charges. Valentin might want to follow her example. He says he’s way ahead. He and Charlotte are going back to Greece. She says, with Lulu’s permission? and he says he’s not afraid of Lulu. His lawyers will tie her up in family court indefinitely. He doesn’t want Charlotte seeing Nina or the family. And maybe his absence will make Nina’s heart grow fonder. Obrecht says, or maybe he’s deluding himself.

Alexis tells Julian, she realizes Charlie’s has significance to him, and apologizes for being insensitive. Julian accepts. He says, back to Olivia’s smear campaign, but she says he doesn’t know Olivia is behind it, but she’ll relay his concerns. He says, not good enough. Olivia is messing with his business and interfering with his customers. He may need to sue. She says he’d have to prove she did it, and it will cost a lot. He should take his resources and start something new; change things up. The Rib has Drag Queen Bingo now, and it’s packed every night. Ava says, that sounds like fun, but Julian says, it’s not a drag bingo kind of place. Alexis says it wasn’t a gastro pub kind of place either, until he made it one. He’s a master of reinvention. She tells hm, you know what they say; every morning you wake up anew, so what you do today is all that matters. He asks if she got that from her shrink boyfriend. She says he’s not her boyfriend, and it’s none of Julian’s business. She leaves, and Ava asks if he heard that. He’s not her boyfriend.

Neil says Brad’s son was kidnapped? and Brad says, yes. Neil asks if he was the boy who was in the news recently. Brad says, yeah.  The cult guy. Neil says, so Shiloh is his son’s biological father. Brad doesn’t see what it matters. His son was stolen, and he feels like he could be taken away at any time and any place. No one understands. He can’t sleep or eat; he’s falling apart. Neil says he’ll give Brad something to make feel better. The medication works differently on everyone, so he’ll tweak it until they get the right dosage. In the meantime, they’ll keep talking, but next time, he wants Brad to bring his husband.

Sasha says she never met Valentin before. She only dealt with Carter and Curtis. Nina says Sasha wants her to believe she faked three DNA tests. Sasha says she had help from someone who knows their way around a lab. Nina says, so she and Obrecht are friends now? but Sasha says, not Obrecht. She had friend from college help her. Obrecht only figured it out a few days before the wedding. If Lulu had heard the whole conversation, she would have heard Nina try to convince Obrecht not to say anything. Nina says, the best laid plans, and Lucy says, it’s food for thought. Sasha says Nina has every right to hate her, but don’t cut out the two people who, despite their flaws, love her very, very much. Charlotte needs Nina, and Nina needs Charlotte. Nina says she needs them all to clear out now. They leave, and Nina throws things and cries.

Dev says he’s in Jax’s debt, and Jax tells him, stay out of trouble. Honor the secret, and he’ll consider the debt paid. Jax flashes back to telling Sonny that he won’t tell Sonny’s secret, but he won’t keep it either. If the Feds knock on his door, he’s not going to perjure himself and give them an excuse to kick him out of the country. Like Sonny did. In the present, Sonny says he doesn’t anticipate any trouble. Dev is a Corinthos now, and there’s no one to say otherwise.

Brad asks why Neil wants Lucas to come, and Neil says he’s concerned about the toll the kidnapping is taking on Brad, and that he doesn’t feel supported in the aftermath. Maybe he can open a line of communication. Brad says, couples therapy might help. Lucas is pretty busy. He can’t guarantee Lucas will come, but he’ll ask. Neil says they’ll get control Brad’s anxiety, and address the underlying issue. He’ll feel better when he sees his fear is unfounded. Brad runs into Alexis as he’s leaving, and Alexis says, bad timing? Neil says, not at all. How was her day? Anything to report? Alexis says, nope. Nothing at all.

Julian looks at a flyer that says he’s paying off the sanitary inspector, and crumples it up. He gets on his phone. At one of the tables, Sasha says Michael thinks she did the wrong thing. He says she took the blame for Valentin so Nina wouldn’t lose the people she loves. Sasha says, they love her too. Valentin would never willingly hurt Nina. The whole twisted situation came out of Valentin’s love, so she’s taking blame, but she’s also clearing the way for them to heal. Charlotte is a great kid, and deserves to be happy. Nina makes her happy. Michael doesn’t agree with her actions, but he can’t argue with her motives. She asks what he would he do, but he tells her, it’s impossible to say. He’d like to think he’d tell the truth, and let the chips fall where they may. She says so he would have told Nina that Valentin was behind it? Michael says it’s possible that when she cools off, she would forgive him. There was no malicious intent, and he did hire a wonderful woman to pose as her daughter, but with Sasha’s way, she’s just waiting for another lie to be exposed.

Ava goes to Nina’s office, carrying the scotch and glasses. Nina says she knew she’d see Ava. She was right; it’s a long, long way to fall. If Ava is there to gloat, have at it. Ava says she’s there in solidarity. She knows a little something about horrid, lying men, and hell on earth.

On Monday, Kim asks if Elizabeth is sure she’s doing the right thing, Jordan tells Henderson to start talking, Obrecht asks Valentin if Nina’s child is alive, and Jason needs to see someone right away.
