General Hospital

At the penthouse, Sonny thanks Lois for the ziti. It was just like her mom’s. Lois says, he liked it? and he says he loved it. She says she couldn’t tell; he barely had three bites. He says he wasn’t hungry, and she says, too worried to eat? He says, all the food tastes like cardboard. He doesn’t want to offend her mom’s recipe… She says she didn’t bring the ziti over so he could praise her cooking. She brought it over to keep his strength up. He says, is that all? and she says she wanted to check in on him too. He says he went to the hospital and sat by Dante’s bed and checked on Olivia. He’s terrified his son’s not going to make it.

Kristina taps on Dante’s window to get Sam’s attention, and Sam meets her in the hallway. Kristina wonders how it’s going, and Sam asks if she wants the cheerful and optimistic answer. Kristina says, if Sam’s feeling cheerful and optimistic, and Sam says she’s scared… and confused. Kristina says she doesn’t blame Sam. She would be too. Especially now. Mom said Jason is the prime suspect in Dante’s shooting?

Anna listens to Jason’s 911 call in the interrogation room when Molly asks if she has a minute. Anna tells her, come in, and Molly says, her office wants an update on the Dante Falconari shooting and how it relates to the shot that was taken at Sonny Corinthos earlier that evening. Should the individual face separate charges or do they make the warehouse and conspiracy charges lesser offenses included in the charge of first-degree murder? Anna says, the individual in question is Jason Morgan, but she’s not convinced he tried to murder anyone. Molly says she hopes Anna is right.

Drew goes to the gatehouse and Willow invites him in. He says he saw the light was still on and he was hoping to catch Michael. She says, he had to run an errand. She’s not sure how long he’s going to be. Drew might want to text him. Drew says, it’s not really something he wants to say in a text. He and Carly broke up.

There’s a knock at Sonny’s old kitchen door, startling the moss bowl 🎍and Carly. Carly sees it’s John, who asks if he can come in. She opens the door and asks if he has a warrant, but he says, no. He just wants to speak to her. She tells him, come in, and asks what he wants to say to her. He says he needs her help.

Jason sits up, hears something, and puts his hand on his gun. Michael says, it’s him, and tells Jason not to stand. He needs rest. Jason says, he’s okay, but Michael says he’s not. He will be. Let them take care of him.

Kristina tells Sam that she has to hand it to mom. She gave her and Molly a heads up before The Invader ran the story on Dante’s shooting. Sam asks what she said, and Kristina tells her, everything the article said, just more personalized. That Jason is still alive and he’s the prime suspect in Dante’s shooting. It was confusing to her then and it’s still confusing. She doesn’t know how Sam is holding up. This must be hitting her pretty hard. Sam says she’s still trying to process it all, and Kristina says, okay. Sam says, okay what? and Kristina says she expected Sam to say this was all a big mistake and there’s no way Jason could do this. Sam says, if that’s what she wants to hear, go talk to Carly.

Anna says she was just listening to the 911 call which ID’s Jason’s voice, and Molly says she’s heard it. Even without the tech, she knew it was Jason. Anna says, coupled with that, they have the DNA evidence on the sweatshirt that was used to bandage Dante, and Molly says, Jason’s blood. It appears he was shot while wearing the sweatshirt, then took it off and tied it around Dante’s wound. Anna says, they know he tried to save Dante, but did he also try to shoot him? and Molly says, their preliminary theory is, Dante was pursuing Jason and a second individual. Jason shot his pursuer, and then upon realizing it was Dante, tried to save him. Anna says, that certainly fits the evidence they have so far, and Molly says, but she doesn’t believe it. Anna says she doesn’t want to believe it. That is something else entirely.

Lois tells Sonny that Olivia said he’s been a rock, and he says he’s glad she thinks that. Lois says, he’s doing something wonderful for Olivia. He’s allowing her to pour all her love and hope into his son. But he has a right to his feelings too. Olivia might not be in a place to hear them and share them, but she can. He says, it’s just not fair. Does she know what he means? She says she does, but what’s fair? She loves him. He knows that. God forbid the situations were reversed and it was her child in a hospital bed fighting for her life, he’d be the first person she’d call. So she wants him to lean on her. He can tell her anything. He knows she’s not going to judge him. He says, if Jason was the one who shot Dante, he’ll never forgive him and never forgive himself.

Carly asks why she’d help John, and he says, she seems convinced Jason Morgan is innocent. She says, he is, and John says, help him prove it. The last thing he wants to do is waste Bureau resources by charging the wrong suspects. So help him out. Tell him why she’s so sure Jason didn’t shoot Dante Falconari. She says, because Jason isn’t reckless or stupid. He wouldn’t shoot at someone without knowing who they are, he wouldn’t shoot a cop, and he would never shoot Dante. John asks, why never Dante? Because he’s Sonny’s son? Carly says, that’s part of it, but the other part is, Dante lives with Jason’s ex-wife and they’re raising Jason’s son. He says, for some men, that would be a motive for murder.

Willow asks if she can make Drew some tea. Forget that. Can she pour him some wine? He says, if she joins him, and she says, absolutely. It has been quite a day. He asks how Michael reacted to the news about Jason, and as she pours the wine, she says, he’s thrilled that Jason’s alive. Of course (🍷). Drew says, and convinced he didn’t shoot Dante? and she says, yes. He says, so is Carly. All evidence to the contrary, she believes Jason is innocent and nobody and nothing can shake her faith in him. That’s why they broke up.

Michael tells Jason that Willow said he had to change into some clean clothes, and Jason asks when she got so bossy. Michael says, she’s always been bossy. She used to be a teacher, remember? Now she’s a nurse. The secret is, she’s very subtle about it. She’s so sweet and reasonable, you don’t even realize she’s ordering you around. Jason says, she’s a good nurse, like Michael’s grandmother. Michael’s mom told him about Bobbie. He’s sorry. Michael says, it happened on New Year’s. She was in Amsterdam sorting through Luke’s affairs, and she passed away in her sleep. They were all devastated, especially his mom. Jason says, you know what’s crazy? The first time he held Michael, Bobbie put Michael in his arms. He was a little premature and he had to be in an incubator. Bobbie brought him to the nursery and sat him in this rocking chair and put Michael in his arms. She told him how to hold Michael, how to support his head, and then she let go. That was the scariest moment in his life. Michael says he doesn’t blame Jason. He felt the exact same way the first time he held Amelia. He can’t wait for Jason to meet her. She’s so beautiful. She looks like Willow. Speaking of Willow, she wants Jason to get into some clean clothes, so let’s get on it. He brings out a duffel bag and asks if Jason needs help, but Jason says he’s good. Jason takes off his shirt, and Michael sees the sleeve tattoo. He asks, what happened to him? (Thank God. I thought maybe I was losing my memory or something.)

Drew says he didn’t stop loving Carly, he just realized that there’s no future there, and Willow says she’s so sorry. He says, so is he. She’s an incredible woman. She made him very happy, and he hopes he made her happy too. She says, obviously, he did. He’s been incredible. Generous, supportive, beyond forgiving. He says, not always. Not today. He came down her pretty hard for something he honestly doesn’t think she can help, not that she would want to. Carly’s first loyalty is always to Jason. He means more to her than anybody else, other than her kids. When they all thought he was dead, she was free to pursue other relationships, but now that he’s back, she’s not.

As Jason changes, Michael says he’ll burn the old clothes, but Jason says he needs them. Michael says, there’s a bullet hole in his shirt, but Jason says, when he leaves here, he needs to be wearing those clothes. There can’t be any evidence that somebody helped him. Definitely nothing that tracks back to Michael, Willow, or Danny. Michael says, okay. So when he leaves, where is he going? Jason says he hasn’t figured that out yet, and Michael asks if Jason can at least tell him where he’s been.

Carly says, clearly, that line about her helping John help Jason was just a line to get in the door, right? but John says he’s just pointing out that some men might have a problem when their ex-wife moves on and their kid is being raised by somebody else. She says, okay. So now instead of Jason shooting Dante to avoid arrest, he now lured Dante to the pier and shot him out of jealousy. John says, it’s just a theory, and she says, it’s a ridiculous theory. He says, it’s his job to entertain every possible scenario in the course of an investigation, and she says, really? Because she thought his job was to keep an open mind, to go where the evidence leads him. Is there any proof at all that Jason’s guilty? Because she’s pretty sure there’s evidence that Jason tried to help Dante. He asks how she’d know that.

Sonny says, when Ava showed him the freeze frame of Jason’s face from the drone, he couldn’t believe it, and Lois says, Ava? He says, she went with him to the warehouse. He knew something was going to happen, so he had Spinelli put cameras all over the warehouse. So he went to Dante’s, Ava went to Spinelli’s, she came back, and there was the picture of Jason on the roof with another shooter. She says she’s so sorry. That must have been surreal. He says, when he first saw it, he thought it was fake, but it was legit, and he just couldn’t believe it. She says, it seems impossible, and he says, for her, because they have history, but Ava is more objective. She asks where Ava is right now, and he says, she’s dropping off Avery at school. She says, so let her get this straight. Ava shows him the picture and he sees it’s Jason. He appears to be working with the sniper… Sonny says, no, he is working with the sniper, and she says, okay. He realizes Sonny is the target. Why is Jason trying to kill him? He says he doesn’t know, but maybe it’s been so long since they’ve seen each other, maybe Jason’s just forgotten what it’s like to be loyal to him. (Geez, it’s not like it’s been 20 years.)

Anna tells Molly that she has multiple conflicts when it comes to Jason. A few years back, Jason saved her life. That’s when she got to know him a little better than she had previously. He is… was… is remarkable. He’s cool under fire and a clear thinker, and someone she instinctively trusted. And of course (🍷) her daughter loves him. He made a crucial difference in Robin’s life. All of which makes her want to believe he did not shoot Dante. But of course (🍷) she cannot be in this job wanting to think the things she wants to think. She has to remain impartial, assemble the evidence, and trust the system. Molly says she thinks that’s why she’s really here, to see how Anna does it, stays impartial, because she doesn’t know that she can. Which would mean she’s in the wrong job.

Kristina says, it’s hardly a shock that Carly thinks Jason is innocent, and Sam says, don’t tell Molly that she’s telling her this, but Carly said Jason showed up at her place the night Dante was shot. Kristina says, again, that’s not a surprise that Jason would go to Carly, but why doesn’t Sam want her to tell Molly? (Duh…) Sam just looks at her, and Kristina says, because Molly is an ADA, and she would have to notify the cops, and the cops could get a search warrant for Carly’s house, and if they found any proof Jason was there, Carly could get charged with something like aiding and abetting. Sam says, yeah. Mom would be proud. Kristina says, the daughter of a lawyer, and Sam says she’s got to be honest with Kristina. She really can’t stand the sight of Carly right now. She doesn’t want Carly to go to prison or anything like that; she just wants Carly to leave her alone. Kristina asks if Carly said Jason told her that he didn’t shoot Dante, and Sam says, Carly told her that Jason showed up in her living room. They had a big reunion, the cops showed up, and no word was mentioned about Dante. Kristina says, he’d come from the pier, so even if he didn’t shoot Dante, maybe he was just there, saw it, and called 911. You’d think that would be top of mind and he’d mention it to Carly. (I’m all kinds of frustrated with these two. Jason is the father of Sam’s son, for cryin’ out loud.) Sam says, you’d think. Classic Jason. Never says anything. Kristina asks if Sam really thinks he did it, and Sam says, every minute that goes by, she’s afraid that he did it. Kristina says she’s so sorry. She can’t believe Jason would do that, especially since he’s wanted in connection to the rifle shooting at the warehouse. Her dad has a rip in his coat that… Hey. Danny is headed toward them, but turns around, and Sam says, Danny Morgan, what are you doing here again?

Jason says he didn’t get killed in the tunnel collapse on Cassadine Island, and Michael says, that much is obvious. (Thank you.) Jason says, the tunnel was blocked. He couldn’t get to Britt and the others. So he followed the tunnel out. It led him to the beach, and he was heading to the main house, but there were two guys there waiting with guns. Michael asks, who were they? but Jason says, that part he can’t tell Michael, but they took him prisoner. They flew him out of Greece and eventually, he ended up in a room with no windows, talking to a man who wanted him to do a job, and he had the leverage to force him to agree. Michael says, and Jason can’t tell him what that leverage was? and Jason says, no. Michael asks, what was the job? and Jason says he’d been working as a private military contractor, a mercenary.

Carly says she’s sorry to disappoint John. She hasn’t seen Jason. He didn’t fill her in on his version of events. If he checks his records, he’ll see that one of the people who found Dante at the pier was her daughter, Josslyn Jax. John says he remembers her name from the report, and Carly says, when she and her friend Dex showed up at the pier, they found Dante bandaged with a sweatshirt and a cellphone lying next to him, open to call with 911. That was Jason. Not because he told her, but because she knows Jason. And why the hell isn’t he going with the theory that this other, unidentified suspect was the one who shot Dante, and Jason was the one who saved him? John says, if she knows Jason so well, maybe she can tell him why Jason ran away instead of waiting for the first responders.

Lois says, remember when Jason first started working for Sonny? The Quartermaines were so upset, especially Alan and Monica, but Jason wouldn’t listen to anyone. As far as he was concerned, he liked and respected Sonny, and no one was going to stop him from being Sonny’s friend. Sonny says, there was a point where he didn’t trust anybody more than Jason. Maybe he trusted Jason too much. She asks what that means, and he says, when he was in Nixon Falls, Jason and Carly got together. She says she heard they got married, but Olivia told her that Sonny showed up on the same day and then they got it annulled. She thought that it was like a friendship thing; they were helping each other out. Sonny says, that’s what he thought. Maybe he thought wrong. She asks if he’s saying they were cheating on him behind his back, but he says, no. He’s not saying they slept together, but they were in love. He was the last one to know and he just felt like it broke some trust. She asks if that’s why he divorced Carly the last time. She thought it was because of Nina. He says he’s not denying his feelings for Nina, but he really wanted to make his marriage work. He tried, but Carly made it impossible. She says she’s so sorry, but he says, it really doesn’t matter right now. His son could be dying, and the cops think Jason is the one who shot him.

Carly tells John that she doesn’t know why Jason ran. Maybe because he didn’t want to be arrested for something he didn’t do, or get locked up by the FBI, who already presume he’s guilty. John says he thinks it’s because Jason wanted to remain undetected. Carly says, he’s going to have to explain that to her, and he says he wants to be clear that Jason and the other suspect didn’t know there were surveillance cameras at the warehouse or a drone hovering over the roof. They made no attempt to hide their faces. Which means, at the time Dante was shot, Jason was under the belief that his presence in Port Charles was undetected. He had no idea there was footage of his activities on the roof or that his picture was already in the hands of the authorities. Maybe she should be grateful to whoever shot him. If they hadn’t, he’d already be long gone.

Willow says, Carly and Drew have been through so much together. He went to prison for her. Drew says, taking the plea deal to protect Carly was the right thing to do. He’d do that again in a heartbeat. He doesn’t regret that. It’s just that he’d never want her to stay with him out of obligation and at this point, that’s kind of all it would be. She says she thinks he’s really underestimating himself and Carly’s feelings for him, and he says he knows Carly loves him, but not the way that she loves Jason. He didn’t want to drag it out and didn’t want to turn it into a test where Carly has to prove she’s choosing him over Jason, because they both know, the second there’s a crisis, she’s going to run straight to him. Willow says she’s sorry and takes Drew’s hand. She says, he deserves so much better, and he says he agrees with her there and intends to find it.

Michael asks how long Jason has been back in Port Charles, and Jason says, since yesterday. He was working with a sniper, Hamish. He already told Michael about him. But when he found out the target was Sonny, he made sure Hamish missed. He and Hamish were headed for the waterfront to get out by boat, and that’s when Dante caught up with them, and Michael knows the rest. Michael says, if he hadn’t been sent to shoot Sonny, would he have come back at all? and Jason says he doesn’t know. He’s thought about it every single day, but the job the man gave him in the room with no windows isn’t done. Michael asks what happens if Jason doesn’t finish, and Jason says, something he can’t live with. He has to finish it.

Sam says she can’t believe Danny snuck out for a second time, but Danny says he didn’t sneak out. Yuri drove him. Sam asks, what’s wrong with him? Doesn’t he realize Danny is too young to be ordering him around? Danny says he lied and said Sam wanted to see him, and she says she does want to see him. She loves seeing him, but he has to realize she’s going out of her mind with worry right now, and the only thing that’s keeping her calm is knowing Danny, Scout, and Rocco are safe at the Quartermaines. Kristina says, it’s just a thought, but maybe he’s here because his father Jason is alive and is a suspect in Dante’s shooting.

Molly tells Anna that she’s got her own conflicts of interest with Jason. Sam was married to him. They have a son together. Although she thinks it’s ironic that Sam has more doubts about Jason’s innocence than she does. Anna asks if Molly believes he’s innocent, and Molly says, three years ago, if Anna had asked her, she would have known he was. And no amount of evidence could have convinced her otherwise. She worshiped Jason. She thought he and Sam had to most romantic love story ever. And even after they broke up, Jason was someone that Sam, their whole family, could count on. Jason was an unconventional father, but he loved Danny. He was willing to do anything Sam thought was best for their child. Plus, he literally saved Kristina from a cult, so that’s another thing in the bonus column. Why wouldn’t she give Jason every benefit of the doubt? Anna says, they don’t know where Jason’s been or what he’s been through. What they do know is there’s footage of him acting like a spotter for a sniper taking aim at Sonny. Molly says, hence the conspiracy charges. You don’t just accidentally wind up on a rooftop next to a man with a high-powered rifle, helping him set up a shot. Anna says, if he was willing to participate in Sonny’s murder, why wouldn’t he shoot Dante? But the anomaly is the 911 call. Molly says she keeps thinking Dante was shot by the other individual and Jason tried to help him, and Anna asks, so why wouldn’t he stick around for first responders? All this could be a moot point because there’s been no sign of Jason since he jumped from the bridge. (Has anyone even bothered looking for Hamish???)

Sam tells Danny that she’s so sorry. She should have sat down and talked to him. Danny says, it’s okay, but she says, it’s not okay. She’s been so focused on Dante, she didn’t stop for a second to think he might have some questions himself. He says he’s not a little kid anymore. Dante’s been shot, so of course (🍷) she needs to be with him. Besides, it’s not like she can tell him anything about his father. Can she? Sam says, all she knows is what she saw in The Invader, that Jason is back and he’s a suspect in Dante’s shooting. He’s right. He’s not a little kid anymore, and to be completely honest with him, she has no idea where his father’s been or why he thought it was okay to let them think he had died. But Jason doesn’t think like other people. His father is drawn to danger. He chases it actually. Anyone else would have been trying to get home, but not Jason. Danny says, maybe he has a reason, and she says she’s sure he does, but Jason’s reasons aren’t like anyone else’s either. Kristina comes over and says she’s been quoting Danny’s grandmother a lot today. She’s taught Kristina a lot about law over the years – both of them – and one of the most important things she taught Kristina is that the defendant is innocent until proven guilty. So at the moment, it seems like all the evidence is pointing at Jason being the one who shot Dante, but he’s not guilty unless and until he’s charged and tried and a jury says so. She knows Danny has a lot of questions about why Jason stayed away, but his dad is really the only one who can give him those answers.

Michael comes into the gatehouse and sees Drew, who tells him that Willow said he was out running an errand. Michael says, yeah, like ten of them actually. What can he do for Drew? Drew says he’ll let Willow fill Michael in. He’s suddenly feeling kind of exhausted. He’s going to go back and check on Scout and probably go back to bed. He thanks Willow for the wine and for the sympathetic ear. She says, anytime, and just to be clear, no one will ever be better to Carly or better for her than he was. He says, that means a lot, and thanks her. He hugs Willow, tells Michael goodnight, and leaves. Michael asks, what was that about? and she says, his mom and Drew broke up. He says, that’s too bad, and she agrees. She asks if those are Jason’s, pointing to the duffel bag he’s carrying, and he says, yeah. She says she’ll wash them, and he asks if she’s sure she’s okay with this. She says, it’s nothing she would have chosen, but it’s where they are. All they can do is see it through, right?

Sonny says, the thing he feels really bad about is the regret he has because of the distance between them, and Lois says, the distance between him and Dante? Come on. They have a beautiful relationship. She saw it the second she got back to Port Charles, which is a little surprising, seeing Dante’s a cop and Sonny… does what he does. Obviously, they’ve been able to surmount those obstacles. The bond he has with Dante is full of love and mutual respect. Sonny asks if he can tell her something, and she nods. He says, for the last two years, Dante was the only one he could go to. Dante is the only one he can talk to who doesn’t judge him. Dante believes in him. That helps him. It does everything for him. Does she want to know what the last thing he said to Dante was? She says, what? and he says, stop being in my way.

Sam says, right. Danny’s father is innocent until proven guilty. They’re just going to have to hope there’s some explanation for all this. And when Dante wakes up, he can tell them what happened. Danny asks if the doctors know when he’s going to wake up, but Sam says, there’s no way to predict that. It could be today, or it could be ~~another Lulu~~ a while from now. He says he’s sorry he came and worried her, but she says, don’t be sorry. She’s sorry she snapped at him. She loves him. She needs his help. She needs him to promise her that he’s going to go to the Quartermaines, and please, please stay out of trouble. He says he’ll stay out of trouble. He guesses she won’t have to worry about the other two. She asks what he’s talking about. She worries about all of them. She loves all of them. She hugs him and asks him to give Scout a big hug and kiss from her. He says he will, and she asks fi Kristina can take him where he needs to be. Kristina says, of course (🍷), and Sam goes back into Dante’s room. Kristina asks if Yuri is downstairs waiting for Danny, but Danny says, Yuri dropped him off. She says she guesses he’s looking at his ride. Funny. She just got a sudden craving for a maple old fashioned. Does he want to stop by Eckerd’s all-night donut window on the way home? (Thank God we don’t have one of those here.) He says he could go for a chocolate with sprinkles, and she says, oh, he’s a chocolate with sprinkles kind of guy? Sounds pretty good. She thinks she’s changed her mind. She leaves, and he looks in the window at Sam sitting with Dante.

Anna tells Molly that Agent Cates was at one end of the bridge, and she was at the other. Cates told him to keep his hands where he could see them, which he didn’t really comply, but he didn’t pull a weapon. She told him to turn himself in so they could sort it all out and that’s when he jumped. But he did not look desperate. He looked determined, like he knew he could survive the drop in the river… and she thinks he did. Molly asks if the search parties turned anything up, and Anna says, no, but according to CSI, it has something to do with the currents in the river, that if Jason were dead, he’d have washed ashore by now, but he hasn’t. Ergo, he’s almost certainly alive. Molly says, so where is he now? but Anna says she doesn’t know. They’re continuing the search and proceeding with the theory that Jason’s injured and holed up somewhere in the area. Or that he was injured just slightly and got out of Port Charles. He could be out of the country by now, for that matter. He could be anywhere. Molly asks if she really thinks that could be just as likely, and Anna says, yeah. She worked for the WSB for years and she used to see these sniper teams operate and they were professional. They get in, they set up, they make the kill, and get out. And it does appear to be what was happening on the warehouse roof. In which case, Jason is long gone. He could be almost impossible to trace. Molly says, then she guesses she should be relieved. She won’t have to prosecute Jason, but disappearing is basically an admission of guilt, no? Anna says she’s not so sure. The more she looks at the evidence, the less sense it makes to her. Something else is going on here. Something that she’s not seeing… yet.

Lois asks if Sonny doesn’t think Dante’s said things about him in the last few years that he wishes he could take back. But Sonny still loves him, right? Sonny says, always, and she says, so why doesn’t he cut himself some slack? He says, it’s just difficult. Dante only went to the warehouse because of him. Dante tried to tell him about the cops. If he’d listened, Dante would still be home. She says, okay. She’s about to rock his world. He’s not God. He’s not responsible for Dante’s choices or Jason’s for that matter. He can’t control the outcome of events. But it doesn’t mean he’s powerless. He’s a parent and there’s nothing stronger than a parent’s love. That is what Dante needs right now and she knows he can feel it. She knows it like she knows her own name. He says he’s known her long enough that he’s not going to argue with her, she says, that’s good, and they laugh.

Carly says, this conversation’s over. She wants John to leave. He says he didn’t mean to offend her, but she says, yes, he did, and he succeeded. He says, for what it’s worth (🍷), she offended him too. The FBI doesn’t presume anyone’s guilty. They follow the evidence where it leads. His only goal here is to find the truth. She says, great. She can’t wait for him to find the truth and clear Jason’s name, but until then, she wants him to get out of her house and don’t come back unless he has a warrant. He starts walking to the door and stops. He says, it’s funny. Whenever he mentions Jason’s name, boy, does it get under her skin. He leaves, and now the moss bowl🎍is offended.

Jason remembers being cuffed to a table, and John walking in. He says, Mr. Morgan. Special Agent John Cates. Welcome to Quantico. He hopes Jason’s flight was enjoyable. Jason tells him that he has nothing to say without his attorney, but John says, Jason doesn’t have to tell him anything at this point. Just listen. John opens a tablet and says, he’s about to hear incontrovertible proof of RICO violations. Those are federal crimes. They carry a 20-year sentence. In the present, Jason stares at the ceiling in the boathouse.

Tomorrow, Curtis asks if Marshall was able to locate Dr. Braddock; Diane says, a lawyer can dream, can’t she; Heather says, no doctor has ever told her anything; and Dex tells Josslyn, what if it’s too late?

General Hospital

Jason asks how Josslyn is, and Carly says, Nikolas Cassadine is a self-absorbed jerk, which really answers that question. He says, there’s no question about that, and she says, fortunately, everything at Windymere was fine; it was a false alarm. She’s glad she went, but she’s sorry she missed the meeting. Did they come to a conclusion? He says it’s a good thing she did miss it. It gave him a chance to see exactly where they stand with the Five Families ~~Italian style flatbread~~. She says, okay; where’s that? and he says, they’re in trouble.

Spencer says, the first time he saw Trina, he knew she was something special. She says, please. The first time he saw her, she was running into The Savoy covered in fake blood. He says, exactly. He saw her drenched in blood, and thought, that’s someone I need to get to know better. She asks how that’s going for him, and he says what he knows he likes, and he’d like to know more.

Laura says Nikolas is her son, but he’s a father now; a parent. Tonight, he chose to terrorize his own son to make a point. He says he honestly believed Spencer was Ava’s stalker. And if Spencer could do these horrible things to them… She says, he wanted to give Spencer a taste of his own medicine. Her worst fears are coming true. He says, what’s that? and she says, he’s finally becoming a Cassadine through and through.

Portia tells Ava, this is unspeakably cruel. Who would set her car on fire, and leave her daughter’s ID badge? She’s so sorry Ava is going through this. If Ava needs something to sleep, she can prescribe something. Ava says, absolutely not. She can’t let her guard down. Portia says, she has a bodyguard, but Ava says, a lot of good that did her tonight. There is a psychopath out there. Someone is leaving reminders of the daughter she lost, and threatening the one she has left.

At The Savoy, Nika asks if Britt would like to see the drink menu, but Britt says she likes her misery straight up; double whiskey, neat. She flashes back to her last conversation with Jason, and telling him, if she needs to pretend to get through it, that’s what she’s going to do. He says, okay, and she says it’s so him; just listen, absorb, and accept. Terry, Epiphany, Deanna, Amy, Bobbie, and Elizabeth come in, and sit at one of the tables.

Jason says, the families think they’re isolated and vulnerable, and Carly says, are they? He says they’re definitely isolated, but nowhere near as vulnerable as the families believe. Maybe they can use that. She asks, how? and he says, let them think they’re winning. Think they’ll do anything to avoid conflict because they’re not strong enough to protect what’s theirs. Carly asks how they convince them, and Jason says they get married, as soon as they can schedule it. She says, getting married because of mob politics. That’s why she married Sonny the first time. He says, so she couldn’t testify against him, and she says, that’s why she married him the fourth time, although Sonny was lying. He was just trying to stop her from marrying Jax. But that’s not the point. He asks, what is the point? and she says she thought they were getting married to show the families that they’re a united front; that they can’t divide and conquer. Now he’s telling her that they’re doing it to make them think they’re weak? Jason says, they’re doing it to comply with their ultimatum, and she says, which is? He says, which is to marry her or eliminate her. She says they wanted him to kill her? and he says he would never let that happen.

Britt listens to the nurses talking, and finally walks over to the table. She says, this is definitely the party table. It’s great to have Bobbie back on staff. Bobbie says, it’s still Nurse Spencer, and Britt says, right. It’s great to see them letting off some steam. Relaxation after a hard day at GH is Chief of Staff approved. Epiphany says, Chief Terry is the one who suggested this outing, and Elizabeth says, it’s really nice having someone in a position of authority treating them like people and not flunkies. Britt says no one could mistake Elizabeth for a flunkey; everything about her screams competent. Epiphany says she thinks the word Britt is looking for is gifted, and Britt tells Terry, getting the competent and gifted together was definitely a great idea. Terry thanks her, and says she thought they could all use some time when they didn’t have to think about work. Britt says she’s definitely had a day herself, and tells Epiphany that she hasn’t had a chance to welcome her back. Was it hard to leave a sandy beach and come back to GH? Epiphany says, not as hard as being demoted from head nurse. But she guesses Britt knows a little about how that feels now. Britt says, indeed she does. She tells them to enjoy their evening, and goes back to the bar.

Ava says she’s sorry she snapped at Portia. She knows Portia is trying to help. Portia says Ava has nothing to apologize for. She had her car set on fire by some psychopath who planted Kiki’s badge there. On top of everything else Ava has been going through, she thinks it’s a miracle Ava is handling things as well as she is. Ava says, which is not at all, but Portia disagrees. There’s a knock at the door, and Doc comes in. He says he’s glad Ava is still there, and asks if she’s okay. She says her car was set on fire, and he says, Nikolas told him. She says she spoke to the firemen, and they’re certain it was done on purpose. Luckily, the car was the only casualty; and her nerves of course (🍷). What about him and Laura? Tell her they got to Windymere before Nikolas did anything stupid.

Nikolas tells Laura, he is a Cassadine; he can’t change that. She says she’s not talking about his DNA. She’s talking about the kind of man he’s becoming. When she thinks back to the man who raised Spencer, Nikolas never left Spencer’s bedside when he was so horribly burned in the fire. That’s the Nikolas that she knows. He says, that’s still him, and she says she really wants to believe that. She wants to believe he’s still that man, and she sees glimmers of it, but it seems that when he takes one step forward into the light, he takes two giant steps backward into darkness.

Trina says she likes Spencer too, and he asks if she’s sure. She says he’s not as bad as she thought at first… Victor. He says he did his penance for that with her writing KICK ME in sunscreen on his back. She laughs, and asks if he wants to rejoin his family. His grandmother seemed really worried about him. He says, not just yet. Can’t they just stay out there? She says, in a perfect world, they could stay out there all night, but she’s not offering him advice. There was a time when she wasn’t getting along with her mom, and Trina didn’t want to talk to her, but a friend said she should just hear her mom out. He says he thought that was Ava, and she says, Ava said it too, but her friend said it first. He says her friend sounds like a real punk, and she says she’s not there to tell him what to do. She’s not sure many people can. He says, nobody tells Spencer Cassadine what to do, and she says, except his grandmother? He laughs, and says, except his grandmother. She says she just wants him to know that he’s not alone. She’s there if he needs her. He says he was just starting to think that, if she goes with him, he might actually be able to face his father. A female voice says, not so fast, and we see creepy nurse come out onto the turret balcony. She asks where exactly does he think he’s going without her? Ugh. Not liking where this is going.

Ava asks Doc, what happened at Windymere? Please tell her that he and Laura were able to talk some sense into Nikolas. He says, unfortunately Nikolas set his plan in motion long before they arrived, and Ava asks what Nikolas did, but Doc says he’s more concerned with how she’s feeling. She says, that bad, huh? and he suggests they just focus on her. She’s been under severe, persistent stress, and she is managing to bear up well under it, but it’s taken a toll. She says, it’s so confusing. For a while, the threat seemed to have passed, but now… And it isn’t just the car. They also left this. She shows him Kiki’s ID, and says, what kind of a monster taunts someone with the memory of their murdered daughter?

Creepy nurse says, my God, your face, and kisses Spencer. I’d say I hate her already, but I hated her for Ava’s sake already. Trina says she guesses they know each other, and creepy nurse says, you might say that. So Spence, who’s your friend? Spencer introduces creepy nurse as Esme Prince, and introduces Trina to Esme. Esme says, the girlfriend. She’s sure he told Trina all about her.

Laura says, since Nikolas got back to Port Charles, she’s been trying to guide him down a better path, but he’s not listening to her. He says he is, but she says he didn’t listen to her when she told him not to get involved with Cyrus Renault. He says, he returned Cyrus’s mother, but Laura says, he traded her for what he wanted. He says, Alexis’s safety, and she says, the point is, he was willing to use a fragile old woman to his advantage. He says, because she was better off as Carly and Jason’s hostage? and Laura says, she was safe and happy. He says, that’s one hell of a rationalization, and she says, from a man who pretended to stab his own child, and who apparently doesn’t see anything wrong with it. The fact that he was willing to plot against his own son for any reason, makes her think she should stop trying to save him. It’s already too late.

Britt drains her drink, and Terry comes over to the bar. She says, after that warm welcome, she figured Britt could use another, and Britt says, a pity shot? Thanks for having her back. Terry asks what she was supposed to say, and orders shots for the table, and two of what Britt is having. Britt says, anything she drinks goes on her tab. At the table, Amy wonders what Terry and Britt are talking about, and Bobbie says, that would be none of their business, but Deanna respectfully disagrees. Britt and Terry are Co-Chiefs. How they handle each other directly affects their work environment. Epiphany says she’ll treat Britt respectfully when they’re at the hospital, and Elizabeth says, when they’re not at the hospital? Epiphany says she won’t be pulling any punches. Amy asks if anyone told Epiphany, while she was gone, Cyrus tried to have Britt killed, and Jason saved her life. Deanna says, and he got shot in the process, and Britt saved his life. Epiphany says she heard something about that, but thought Britt’s role was greatly exaggerated. Bobbie says, not according to her daughter. Carly confirmed Britt saved Jason’s life. Elizabeth says, maybe people can change.

Terry says Britt is taking the fun out of watching her suffer, and Britt says, sorry to disappoint. Terry says Britt should be proud of herself. She went to a table full of people she’s alienated, and tried to connect; that’s a good thing. Britt says, if Terry saw her making an effort, why didn’t she invite Britt to join them? They would have accepted it coming from her. They’re clearly team Terry. Terry says, it wasn’t her invitation to extend. She and Britt are a team now, but she can’t make people like Britt.

Doc asks Ava, given what happened with Kiki’s badge, does she still think his brother is behind this somehow? She says, does he? and he says, since he found out Ryan was communicating with people outside the prison, he doesn’t know, but ever since Ryan was diagnosed as a locked-in, he would say, no way. Although he has to admit there are similarities between Ryan’s M.O. and what’s happening to her. Ava says, one thing she does know is, whoever is stalking her can’t be Spencer, and Doc says, that’s another thing the stalker’s good at; turning their lives upside down. Making them doubt each other. She says, please tell her that whatever Nikolas did tonight, he didn’t ruin his relationship with his son.

Esme holds out her hand, but Trina doesn’t take it. Trina says her boyfriend Spence wasn’t kidding when he said the night would be full of big surprises. She finally shakes Esme’s hand, and says, nice to meet her, and no, he hasn’t mentioned her. She tells Spencer, well, Spence, thanks for throwing this big party. It was definitely unforgettable. Nice meeting Esme, the girlfriend. Esme says, any friend of Spence’s… but Trina is already gone. She says, Spencer never told Trina he had a girlfriend? Ha-ha! I think Spencer is going to get a taste of his own medicine better than Nikolas could have given him.

Amy asks if Bobbie is excited for Carly and Jason’s wedding, and Bobbie says she was more surprised than anything. But now that she’s had a minute to get used to the idea, she’s happy for them. Epiphany says she’s still stuck on surprised. She’s known them for years, and there was never the slightest indication that they were anything other than friends. Elizabeth says Epiphany was never involved with Jason. She and Jason are ancient history. They had Jake together and they’re friends, but she’s just making an observation. Deanna tells her, observe away, and Elizabeth says, Carly will always come first in Jason’s life. She wouldn’t have it any other way, and honestly, Jason wouldn’t either. It used to make her so frustrated. She wanted him to stand up to Carly; let her figure out her own disastrous life, and stay out of his. She tells Bobbie, sorry, but Bobbie says, don’t apologize. There have been so many times in Carly’s life that it’s been a disaster – by her own making – but every time she would turn to Jason for help, he was there to give it to her. And in all fairness, she did the same for him. Elizabeth says, that’s true. She and Carly have never been friends, but she’d be the first to admit Carly has always been loyal to Jason.

Terry says, Britt’s stint as Chief of Staff wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows. Far from it. Britt asks if she’s supposed to apologize for keeping her eye on the bottom line, and Terry says, this isn’t about numbers. This is about how Britt deals with people, especially Bobbie. Britt says she had nothing to do with Bobbie or Monica getting fired. That was all Cyrus. Terry says, taking Epiphany off the floor, and cutting Elizabeth’s hours; was that Cyrus too? Britt says Cyrus ordered her to, and Terry says, when Cyrus was gone, did Britt make it right? Britt says, you would think with so many people being chummy with Sonny, they’d understand when you do things you don’t want to do under duress. Terry says, it’s no secret Britt doesn’t get along with Epiphany or Elizabeth, or pretty much anyone, so don’t be disappointed when she digs up what she planted. Britt says, fine; she’s awful, and things need to change. How is she supposed to change things when everyone’s against her? Epiphany looked right through her. Terry says, because Britt went out of her way to humiliate, belittle, and demote her, and several people she cares about – all on Britt’s first day. Britt says, so this cold shoulder business, it’s all on her. Terry says, it is, and Britt says, so she guesses getting invited to the cool kids table is impossible. Terry says, nothing is impossible, but if she wants the respect, she’ll have to earn it. Terry can see Britt’s changed, but that doesn’t mean the situation has. She’s burned some pretty big bridges. It’s going to take time to rebuild them. Terry goes back to the table.

Jason says he doesn’t want Carly to be afraid. The Five Families ~~mascarpone~~ are never going to touch her, but she has the right to know what was said. She says, which was what exactly? and he says, the position is, unless and until they get married, she’s a civilian who could flip and give evidence to the Feds. She says she’d never do that, and he says he knows. It’s just an excuse to see how he would react. She asks if he told them what they wanted to hear, and he says he told them they would get married as soon as they can arrange it. This just proves any honest negotiations are a waste of time. They’re not interested in cooperating, and they believe Sonny’s territory is wide open, and she’s the key. She is, but threatening her was the worst mistake they ever made, and they’re going to pay.

Jason tells Carly that he can move now. He can probably get to Vincent Novak tonight. It would be a relief to get rid of that guy anyway. She says, but waiting is the smart move, and he says, moving quickly is always a risk. They should set the date, send out the invitations, and give them time to set whatever they’re planning motion. She says he knows how this works; he’s obviously thought a lot about it. So they’re going to do what he said, and set the date, send out the invitations, and make them think they’re winning. She gets up and looks at her phone, saying, they have to do something really soon. He gets up, and says, Carly… and she says, just tell her. Is any part of the wedding going to be about them?

Epiphany approaches Britt, and says, Terry told her Britt wanted to see her. Britt looks at Terry, who nods, and Britt says, yes, she did. Epiphany asks if she’s sure; she seems surprised. Britt says, she is. She didn’t expect Epiphany to come over. Epiphany says, well, she’s there, and she’d like to get back to her friends, so what is it? Britt says she’s sorry for how she treated Epiphany. It was self-serving, callous, and… Epiphany says, and dishonest, conniving, nasty, and lowdown. Britt tells her, don’t hold back, and Epiphany says, trust. There’s plenty more where that came from.

Spencer says he was going to tell his friends all about Esme, and she says, when? He says, tonight, and she asks what stopped him? He says, all hell breaking loose, and she says she could definitely sense tension. What happened? He says, it would take too long to get into. What about her? When did she get there? What has she been up to? She says, tailing the demon bride, and he says, she was following Ava. She says she got curious about his stepmother, so she checked Ava out at the gallery. She wasn’t there long before Ava rushed out, and she followed Ava to the hospital. When she got there, she overheard his father telling Ava that he was faking a trip to Dubai, so he could trick Spencer. Spencer says, and she didn’t think to call or text, or give him any kind of heads up? She says, almost, but then she overheard Ava ask his grandmother to go to Windymere. That’s when she got her beautiful brain wave. He says, what brain wave? and she says, to set Ava’s car on fire. He says, she what?

Trina walks into the hospital, looking sad, and sighing.

Doc tells Ava, Nikolas and Spencer will need some time to heal from this. Trina comes in, and says she was so worried about Ava, but Ava says she’s okay; just shaken up. Trina says, her car was burned, and Ava says, she wasn’t in it at the time. She guesses it was just meant scare her. Trina says, that is so messed up, and Ava totally agrees. She heard there was some drama at Windymere, and Trina says, nothing exploded. Mr. Cassadine came to Spencer’s party determined to teach Spencer a lesson, but he took it way too far. She doesn’t know if Spencer can forgive his father. Ava says, like, for the time being? but Trina says, like, ever. Ava wonders what Nikolas did, but Portia comes in with a police officer, and says, sorry. They want to take Ava’s statement. Ava thanks Doc and Trina for checking on her, and leaves.

Nikolas says, please don’t give up on him, and Laura says, please give her a reason not to. He says he realizes he’s made terrible choices, but he wants to do better by her, Ava, Spencer, everyone. She says it’s lovely that he wants to do better by her, and she’s sure Ava feels the same way, but she and Ava are adults. Spencer is still a kid. He’s not even twenty yet, and Nikolas has broken Spencer’s heart time and again. He literally attacked Spencer. How is he going to make that better? What steps is he willing to take? He’s way past the point where his promises have any meaning. One more terrible choice, and he could lose everything, and everyone close to him.

Portia says she thought Trina had plans tonight, and Trina says she did, but she wanted to check on Ava. Portia says, fortunately, she’ll be fine, and asks where Trina was. Trina says she was at a party, at Windymere. Portia says she heard Ava ask Doc if he’d gotten there in time. What in the world happened at Windymere?

Britt tells Epiphany, by all means, unleash. Let her have it. Epiphany says, okay, but Britt better get comfortable. This is going to take some time. Britt says, fire away. She hurt people, so she deserves everything that’s coming to her. Epiphany asks how she can enjoy tearing into Britt when she’s being contrite? and Britt says, once she draws blood, she’ll have a taste for more. Let her have it. Epiphany says, okay, she’ll say this. Losing her position as head nurse wasn’t just about the title. She worked hard to get there, but it was losing contact with the patients that broke her heart. Britt says she’s so gifted with patients. She’s glad Monica reinstated her. She just regrets she didn’t do it first. As far as hearts go, contrary to popular belief, she has one, and understands what it feels like to have it broken. Epiphany says she’s sorry to hear that. Since she’s still in the throes of her own heartbreak, she wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Britt says, since they’re sharing… and Epiphany says, is that what they’re doing? If it is, she doesn’t like it. Britt says she may never convince Epiphany, but she’s not the person she was. At least she’s trying not to be. Epiphany says, when she was in Cabo, she heard Britt tried to take down Cyrus, and risked her life for Jason, who Epiphany considers to be a friend. Also, Terry said she’s not all bad. Britt laughs, and says, a ringing endorsement. Epiphany says, as for her, she needs a second opinion. Britt says, that’s fair.

Spencer says, Esme was the one who torched Ava’s car? and she says, to save him. Something had to happen when he wasn’t around to prove he wasn’t involved. Even though they both know he’s up to his eyeballs in it. He says, he appreciates her trying to cover for him, but torching the woman’s car went too far. She asks if he’s sure. His father pretended to be dead for three years, and chose that awful woman over him. Doesn’t he want her to pay?

Trina tells Portia, it was so awful; Spencer was so hurt. Portia thinks the word Trina is looking for is traumatized. Poor Spencer. He must have felt so betrayed. Not that she hasn’t disappointed her own child. Trina says, no, just no. What happened between Portia and Curtis is A) none of her business, and B) nothing compared to pretend stabbing you kid. She doesn’t even know if there’s a word for that. Portia says, there is; assault, grabbing someone and hitting them with a blunt object. If anyone says it’s a crime what Nikolas did to his son, they mean that literally. Trina says, as a parent, Portia is doing lightyears better than he is. Portia thanks Trina, saying, she appreciates that, and Trina says, anytime.

Doc asks if Ava finished her statement, and she says, yeah, for all the good it did. It makes no sense. The threats and stalking, it all stopped when she and Nikolas filed for divorce. Why would it start up again? This person is getting everything they want. Doc says, something about all of it feels off. If they can figure out what it is, it might lead them to whoever’s doing this. She says, Nikolas came to visit her at the gallery, and Doc asks if he could have been seen. Ava says, yeah, if she’s under constant surveillance, which means she’s not safe anywhere. Not at her place of business or where she sleeps. Obviously not in her car, which she doesn’t have anymore. Where is she supposed to go? Is there any place left this psychopath can’t get to her?

Nikolas tells Laura, if he’s going to redeem himself and make ~~almonds~~ amends, he has to start with Spencer. He knows she said he should let Spencer come to him, but he needs to find his son. Spencer walks in with Esme, and says, here he is. Nikolas says he can’t begin to tell Spencer how sorry he is; how much he regrets… Spencer introduces Esme to Laura, and Laura says it’s nice to meet her. She wishes it were under better circumstances. Nikolas says he didn’t know Spencer was seeing someone, and Spencer says, why would he? Clearly, Nikolas doesn’t know anything about him. Laura asks if Spencer would like time alone with his dad, but Spencer says he has nothing to say to him.

The waitress brings shots to the table from the lady at the bar, and Bobbie asks if they should send them back. Deanna says, she didn’t have to do this, and they take the shots. Epiphany says, it will take a hell of a lot more than a round of shots to inspire their loyalty. To GH. They all raise their glasses, and Britt leaves the bar. She takes a last look at the table, and slips out.

Portia can’t believe Nikolas pretended to stab his own son, and Trina says, it was awful. The whole night was just awful. Portia asks, what’s wrong? Is she okay? Trina says, it’s not a big deal; it shouldn’t be a big deal. Just forget it. Portia says, Trina knows she can tell her anything. Talk to her. What’s wrong? Trina says, it turns out Spencer has a girlfriend. Portia hugs her.

Laura says, Spencer may have nothing to say to his father tonight, and it’s understandable, but tomorrow… Spencer says, on second thought, he does have something to say. He wishes Nikolas had never come back, and yes, he does mean that. Laura says, she sincerely hopes he won’t mean it forever. It’s clear nothing is going to be resolved here tonight. Spencer says if Laura is taking the launch back, he and Esme will come with her. Nikolas says, Spencer… but Spencer says he can’t stay there one more minute. He leaves, and Esme follows him. Laura tells Nikolas, it didn’t have to be like this, and leaves. ~~The cheese~~ Nikolas sits alone.

Ava tells Doc, whoever is doing this has proven time and again they can get to her, that they can get to Avery. No matter how many bodyguards; no matter how advanced the security system. Doc says he knows it seems that way, but the authorities can protect her. She says she can’t trust in that. She can’t rely on the authorities. She can’t believe it’s come to this, but she can’t risk Avery’s safety. She has to get the hell out of Port Charles, and she has to do it alone

Carly tells Jason, she’s not expecting hearts and flowers, but people are really wishing them well. Josslyn, her mom, his mom. Well, his mom is wishing him well; she just tolerates Carly. But all these people they love. They think they’re coming to a joyous celebration, but it’s really just a show for the Five Families ~~white lasagna~~. He says, their wedding is not just a show, but Carly says, he just told her… He says, the families have to be dealt with, but it’s still them up there getting married. She says she’s really nervous about that. Not the wedding, but after the ceremony. What’s it going to be like when they’re married? When she married Sonny the last time, Jason was gone, but going back to her first marriage to AJ, she always had Jason as her best friend, and he’d always be there for her. If something went wrong, and the marriage ended, he’d be there and he was. But this time the marriage is to him, and he’s her safety net. She’s marrying her safety net, and she’s kind of freaking out. He says he’ll still be her safety net, and he’s counting on her to be his. She says he doesn’t need a safety net, but he says he needs her to stand by him, no matter what. She says she always will, and he says, okay. Then they’ll just figure the rest out. She tells him, he keeps saying that, and he says they don’t know what’s going to happen when they get married, no one who gets married knows what’s going to happen. All they can do is hope for the best, and trust each other. She says, they have the trust thing down, and he says, so he needs her to remember that when she freaks out. She says, and count to ten. He says, count to ten, and she hugs him. She says, okay, let’s pick a date. She looks at her phone, and says, how’s September 17^th? He says, it works for him.

Tomorrow, Willow tells Chase that nothing has changed, Laura says no way are Spencer and Esme living together, Anna asks if someone is hitting on her, and Carly asks Michael if there’s something he wants to tell her.

General Hospital

On the phone in her office, Jordan tells someone that she and the PCPD appreciate their assistance. Good luck. There’s a knock at the door. Curtis comes in, and she asks if everything is okay. He says he just heard from his lawyer. Has she decided to fight the divorce?

At Charlie’s, TJ asks Molly to tell him again that she knows what she’s doing. She says she does, and he gives her a kiss for luck. She leaves, and runs into Stella outside. Stella asks if Molly isn’t joining her and TJ, but Molly says she has a really important appointment, but next time. Stella goes inside, and asks TJ, what’s up with Molly that she’s not joining them? He says, she’s a born crusader. If she thinks there’s a way to help someone, she’ll step up.

Ava joins Portia at another table, and asks how their girl is. Has she recovered from her scare at the gallery? Portia says, Trina’s no victim, so in the end she was more angry than scared that her big entrance to her graduation party turned into a scene from a horror movie. Once she got herself cleaned up, she had a terrific time. Portia doesn’t know where she gets it, and Ava says she thinks she’s looking at her.

Trina is reading in the park, when Victor/Spencer comes along. He asks if she’s reading anything good, and she says a book about mask-wearing feminists calling out misogyny in the art world since 1895, and he says, sounds enthralling. She says, they’re badass, unlike him who ghosted her on the 4^th when he went in search for a bottle of water. He hands her a bottled water, and says, better late than never.

Nikolas approaches Martin at the MetroCourt, and asks if Martin got his message. Martin says he did. He was going to get back to Nikolas later today. Nikolas sits, and says, since they’re both there, does Martin have a minute? Martin says, a minute? Have a seat. What’s on his mind? Nikolas says, divorce.

Alexis babbles about the weather to a guard inside a prison office. She says, it smells good after it rains, doesn’t he think? The guard looks up from his book, and says, what? She says, never mind. She’ll just keep talking to herself. Shawn walks in, and says, or she can talk to him. She asks what he’s doing there; he’s going to get them in trouble. The guard opens the gate, and Shawn says, Henry is going to look away while he accidentally runs into her while she’s doing her daily exercise. They go into the other room, and Henry says Shawn owes him. They sit, and Alexis says she doesn’t want Shawn jeopardizing himself for her. He says he’ll be fine, but she says, nobody’s fine in here. She rubs her wrist, and he asks if it’s bothering her. She says her osteoporosis is acting up, and he asks if she’s taking anything for it. She can request medication that helps her stay healthy. She says she’s so grateful for working in the library, she didn’t want to request any special favors. She could ask Diane to help her with it, but she has no idea when she’s going to have a conversation with anyone on the outside again. He asks if solitary is getting to her.

TJ tells Stella, even though Molly wanted Alexis to take responsibility, she’s worried about Alexis being behind bars. She says, it’s hard on the whole family when a family member is in prison, especially during personal milestones, and TJ says, like graduating law school. She says, and graduating med school. He says she knows he’s been keeping in touch with Shawn. He and Molly saw Shawn the other night, and she says, that’s nice. He says, no offense, but when she says nice that way, she means anything but. It’s her right to feel how she feels, and he’ll always consider dad his father, but Shawn is too. She says, Shawn is his birth father, and it’s natural for TJ to want a relationship with him. TJ thanks her for understanding, and she says, of course (🍷). She asks how his mother is.

Jordan says, Curtis is there about the divorce papers? and he says if she has a problem with the terms, they can talk about it, although he thought they were extremely fair. She says she doesn’t have a problem with the terms. They agreed to be amicable, and she thought that’s what they were doing. He says so did he, then his lawyer told him she hasn’t delivered the signed papers, even though he gave them to her weeks ago. He has to ask, what’s the problem? She says she’s had a lot going on. The initial investigation into Franco Baldwin’s death; Peter August attempted a kidnapping, then escaped; Chase was poisoned and nearly died; there’s been an uptick in overdoses because of Cyrus, who also took the mayor hostage and shot Curtis; Jason Morgan escaped from GH, where he was shot; and she had to deescalate a situation with Cameron Webber where he could have been shot. Oh, right, then her son graduated from medical school. He says he doesn’t mean to downplay her formidable list, but how long does it take to sign some papers and stick them in an envelope?

Trina takes the water from Spencer, says, thanks a bunch, and goes back to reading. He says she’s not giving him an inch, is she? She asks why she should. He must think he’s cute or something. He says he’s been told he has a certain charm, and she goes back to her book. He asks if she’s going to ignore him now, but she says she’s trying to read. He says she took his peace offering, and she asks what more he expects. He says, forgiveness maybe. He apologized. She says, no. He gave her a bottle of water on a hot day, and he says, okay, he’s sorry. He apologizes for disappearing on the 4^th. Something came up. She says, it’s no big deal. After all, they barely know each other. He gets next to her on her blanket, and says, let’s change that.

Martin says he was wondering if he’d hear from Nikolas. He got a confusing call from Scotty last week. Was he right? Nikolas and Ava are getting a divorce? Nikolas says, despite his best efforts, yes, and Martin says he’s sorry to hear that. He hasn’t known either of them long, but it seemed they were a good match. Nikolas says, they were a perfect match. They’re being stalked, and Ava is terrified. She doesn’t want to put her young daughter Avery in danger. Martin says, that’s understandable, but why get a divorce? Nikolas says, this maniac wants them apart, threatening them with twisted gifts. He has Ava scared to the point where she’s convinced if they give him what he wants, he’ll leave them alone. Martin says he heard about the gallery break-in the other night. He has to admit, fake blood in the sprinkler system is a rather grisly way to get your point across, and Nikolas says it seems to be escalating. He asks what the police said. Is the new lead enough to catch him?

Molly approaches Judge Carson, and says she’s sorry to keep her waiting, but the judge says Molly isn’t late. She’s notoriously early. Molly sits and thanks the judge for meeting with her, and Carson says she’s glad Molly decided to take her up on her offer. She’s always happy to mentor promising new talent. Molly says she hopes the time prove beneficial to both of them.

Jordan tells Curtis, it’s just one of those things. She thinks about signing the papers, and finds herself in the middle of another crisis. When she remembers to sign them, she’s already home, and the papers are at the office, and she promises herself that she’s going to sign them the next day. He says he gets it, but she also has a habit of using work to avoid personal issues. He thinks their marriage is about as personal as it gets. She tells him that she can’t say he’s wrong. She’s put off signing the papers for too long. The fact is, the two of them need to move along to whatever comes next. Maybe he already has.

Portia tells Ava, since the hostage situation, she’s been watching Trina closely for cracks, but there never seem to be any. She threw herself into her graduation, she’s focused on PCU in the fall, and she’s eighteen now. It’s not like Portia can be a helicopter mom, even though she wants to. Ava says she’s not surprised Trina is moving on; she’s so tough. Ava understands Portia’s instinct to hover. She hasn’t gotten over the terror she felt, seeing Trina standing there, covered in what looked like blood. It was such a nightmare. She had this moment of disconnect. She was telling herself that what she was seeing couldn’t possibly be real. She had that same feeling when she saw Kiki… and that of course (🍷) was real. She can’t tell Portia how relieved she was when the blood turned out to be fake. Portia says, her too, and Ava says she couldn’t bear to lose Trina. She hopes she’s not overstepping, and Portia says they’re past all that. It takes a village, right? She’s glad Ava is looking out for Trina. The college reference letter Ava wrote was so lovely, and she appreciates Ava continually encouraging Trina in her passion for art. Ava says, she’s so talented though. She has a great eye, great sensibility… Portia says, Trina told her the gallery is closed now? Was there really that much damage? Ava says, the paintings can’t be saved. She has insurance of course (🍷), but so much beautiful artwork gone. Portia says, that’s so terrible. She can’t even believe Ava is being stalked. What kind of person would want to cause that much pain?

Trina asks where they begin, and Spencer says, she likes art. Who’s her favorite artist? Other than guerilla feminists. She says, there’s too many to list. Before this book, she was reading Vermeer and studio method influences on twentieth century art, and of course (🍷) there’s David Driskell and Ray Reardon. He says, very well-rounded, and Trina says she loves art and art history. She’s majoring in fine arts. He says, at PCU, and she says, and at the Jerome Gallery. He says, where she got the… and she says thanks for reminding her. She’d almost forgotten. He says, sorry, and she says, what about him? What’s his deal? He says, kind of a large question, and she says she’s never seen him around before last week. Did he just move here? He says he has a place on Pierpont; it’s a studio. She asks if he lives by himself, and he says, we’re all we have in the end. She says, deep, and he says, so, PCU, fine arts; he sees she’s digging in. She says, they have a great art history program. Does he have a problem with art? He says, not at all. He likes art. The Museum de Some-French-word-I-don’t-catch in France is one of his favorite places of all time. Who’s her favorite impressionist?

Shawn says, solitary is tough, even for the strongest of personalities, and Alexis says, it’s ironic. She used to fantasize about having a place to go to where she could just have peace and quiet. Then when Julian and the girls are gone, and she’s all alone in the house, does he know what she did with that peace and quiet? She drank so she could make the time go by faster, because silence is not peaceful; it’s oppressive. And there are no windows. She starts to panic, and says there are no windows in her cell; none. Does he know Star Wars, when they’re in the trash compactor, and the walls keep closing in, and in, and in, on them. That’s a movie, so the walls were actually closing in on them, but she’s in her cell and the walls are stable, solid, bare, but she thinks they’re moving. She starts to cry and hyperventilate, and he tells her, calm down. Look at him. Focus on him.

Judge Carson asks if Molly is sure she doesn’t want a cocktail. Pinot? Molly says she’d better not. She still has work to do, and she really doesn’t drink much. Carson says, because of her mother? It’s probably prudent. Looks like they’re keeping Molly busy at the DA’s office. Molly says, yes, and she has so much to learn. Any free time she has, she’s going over old case files, researching precedents… Carson says, that’s industrious. She must be familiar with the County Clerk’s office by now. Molly says she is, and some of Carson’s old cases too. Carson says she guesses over the years she’s had a few cases that were precedent setting, and Molly tells her, she’d say so. As well as stretching the parameters of some of her felony cases. Carson says, stretching? and Molly says, in certain cases, Carson gave out maximum sentences, even when the defendant showed remorse. Carson says, the operative word being, shown. Some defendants are excellent actors, particularly during sentencing. It’s her job to protect the community. Molly says, especially when the defendants are Black?

Martin says he thought Nikolas heard. They found a footprint from the perpetrator. It’s a very unique footprint. They’re confident they can match the boot treads. Nikolas says he hadn’t heard. How did Martin find out? Martin says Nikolas isn’t the only person who has his sources, and Nikolas says, this changes everything. He has to go. Martin asks if he’s going to call about his divorce, and Nikolas says, there’s not going to be a divorce.

Trina tells Spencer that she’s not only about art. Her mom is a doctor, and she used to read her mom’s medical books. Spencer says, it sounds like a fascinating childhood, and she says, it was colorful. What does his mom do? Does she work, or is she a society mom? He asks why she’d think that, and she says she had him pegged as a trust fund kid; a studio on Pierpont. He says his mom died when he was little, and she says she’s sorry. She didn’t mean to be insensitive. He says, it’s a perfectly normal question. He hates that the answer always stops the conversation cold. He never really had a mom growing up, so he doesn’t know what he’s missing, right?

Shawn tells Alexis to focus on him, and asks if she can breathe with him. In for four, out for four. Got it? Let’s try it. They breathe together, and Alexis calms down. She says she thought she was having a heart attack, and he says he’s had panic attacks himself; they’re not fun. She says, it was scary, and he says she’s not alone. Try to remember that. She says she always admired that about him, and he says, breathing or counting? She says, he’s stable, and he makes people feel safe. He made her feel safe, even when she knew he was working for Sonny. He says they do go way back, and he’s glad she trusts him. She says she does, and wants him to tell her what’s going on. He says he knows her, and he doesn’t want her to freak out. She suggests he just tell her what’s going on, and he says he told Molly that Alexis’s stay in solitary might be thanks to Judge Carson, and she says, what?

Carson tells Molly, that’s a loaded statement. One could even call it an allegation. She should exercise more restraint in commenting on things about which she knows nothing. Perhaps she was mistaken in thinking Molly showed promise. Molly says she’s sorry… Actually she’s not sorry. It’s all there in the record. On comparable charges Carson routinely gave non-white defendants longer prison time than their white counterparts. That is not justice. Carson says, young lady, I’ll remind you that you’re speaking to a judge, and Molly says, a judge that exerted pressure to keep her mother in solitary because her mother is on to her. Carson says perhaps she should let the DA’s office know the disrespect she’s shown a prominent judge; they’ll see it as a liability. Molly laughs, and says she’s not afraid of Carson. And she has no respect for a judge who can’t or won’t act impartially. She’s trashing the very system she’s sworn to uphold, and Molly and her mother are going to stop her. Martin comes by, and says, excuse him. Is there a problem?

TJ tells Stella that his mom is doing well. Busy, as always. Stella says she’s so glad Jordan got that devil Cyrus Renault, and put him behind bars once and for all. He says, everyone is sleeping better now that Renault’s locked up, and she says, Jordan and Curtis make quite a team. Are they talking? He says, they talk. Why does she ask? She says, any talk of reconciling? but he says he doesn’t know. He doesn’t think it’s very likely since they just got divorced. She says, you never can tell. There’s always hope.

Curtis says, Jordan thinks he moved on? and she says she knows from Portia’s statement that he called her the night Cyrus took Portia and Trina hostage. Thank God he did. If he hadn’t reached out, that night might have had a very different ending. It also pointed to maybe a connection between him and Portia. He says, it’s true. Over the past few months, he and Portia have been spending a lot of time together. That’s why he called her that night. They kissed, and honestly, it just brought up a bunch of questions. Jordan says, he’s single, Portia’s single, so… He says she didn’t know about it? and she asks how she’d know. He says he saw her talking to Portia at Trina’s party, and she says, they talk all the time. Why would he assume they were talking about him? He says, because Portia’s been sending him mixed signals, and he thinks it’s because someone warned her away from him. She says, and he thinks that someone is her?

Ava promises Portia that she can keep Trina safe, especially now that she’s doing what that maniac wants, and getting a divorce. Portia hates that Ava is paying such a high price, but she does understand. When Cyrus had his gun trained on Trina, she was prepared to do anything to keep her safe. Ava should focus on keeping herself safe too. Nikolas walks in, and says he apologizes, but he has to speak with Ava. Portia says she has to get going, and leaves. Nikolas asks if Ava minds if he sits down. She says, only if he’s brought divorce papers, and he says, the PCPD has a lead on the stalker. It’s only a matter of time before he gets caught. She says she’s not having this discussion with him again. She can’t keep living like this. She sent Avery to live with Carly. At least there, she knows Avery is safe, but she doesn’t want to be separated from her child. She doesn’t want to look over her shoulder, afraid of what might happen next. Nikolas says, that’s no way to live, so – he takes her hands – run away with him.

Jordan says, for the record, if she had a problem with Curtis seeing Portia, she wouldn’t have gone to Portia. She’d say it to his face. He says, duly noted, and she says, not that who he sees is any of her business at this point. Now if he’ll excuse her, she has to get back to work, but don’t worry. She’ll sign the papers, and get them over to his lawyer asap. An officer comes in with a file Jordan requested and apologizes for interrupting. Jordan says she didn’t; they’re done here. Curtis leaves, and Jordan looks at their wedding photo, then puts it upside down in a desk drawer.

Spencer asks what Trina does for fun around there, other than read art books. She says she likes the beach. Has he been there? He says, she calls that a beach? and she asks if they have another name for sand meeting water where he comes from. He says, la plage, and she says, a beach by any other name is still a beach. He says she seems fond of hers; maybe they should go sometime. She says, formidablé, and his phone dings. She reaches for it, and he shouts, stop! startling her.

Alexis says, Shawn told Molly that she’s in solitary and Judge Carson is involved? Her baby daughter. He told her that Alexis is being persecuted while she’s incarcerated; is he insane? Dammit! Henry hears, and says, settle down. Alexis pulls Shawn to the other side of the room, and says he knows how Molly is, as determined as she is naïve. She thinks justice triumphs, and she will go charging into this fight, and it will ruin her law career before it even gets started.

Molly tells Martin, there’s a problem, but he says he was speaking to the judge. He asks if Carson is all right, calling her Naomi, and she says she’s fine. She shouldn’t have lost her temper, but this girl is making outrageous accusations. Molly says, the facts are plain as day if you look in the right places. Case in point, Shawn Butler is serving a 20 year sentence for attempted murder, while Judge Carson has given white defendants minimal prison time for the same charge. Martin says, young lady, that is no way to talk to her honor, and Carson says she’ll defend her record any day. A more seasoned lawyer would know that each case has to be evaluated on its individual merit. Looking at a bunch of sentences means nothing. She asks Martin why she’s even having this conversation. This girl hasn’t even passed the bar yet. Martin says Molly is obviously impetuous like her mother. He believes the case she’s looking at is her husband’s father. Molly says, domestic partner, and that is not the point. Carson says she thinks they’re done here. Just know that the DA’s office and the Bar Association will be made to understand Molly’s slanderous attacks on her reputation. Martin says, if he were Molly, he’d leave while he still had a job, and Molly says, gladly. Just so he knows, everything she said is true, and she’s going to prove it. She walks out.

Ava says, after everything she’s shared with Nikolas – her fear that this maniac might target Avery to get to her – does he think running away is going to change anything? He says they can take Avery and disappear. She always wanted a yacht, right? He’ll get a luxury cruiser, and they can sail for a month or so, until they get to Cassadine Island. They can wait there until the stalker gets caught. She says, and if he’s not? and he says, then Avery grows up on a Mediterranean island. She says he’d walk away from Windymere, after everything he did to get it back. He’d leave Laura. He says he’ll find a way to keep in touch with his mother, and can’t worry about the rest. He can’t lose her. He’ll keep telling her until she believes him that he’ll do anything to save this marriage, even if it means losing everything.

Trina says she was going to give Spencer her number, and he apologizes for being abrupt. He says, it’s locked, and unlocks it, handing it back to her. She puts her number in, and says she sent herself a text so she has his too. Is that cool? He says, formidablé. Portia calls Trina’s name, and comes out into the clearing. Trina says she didn’t realize it was so late, and Portia asks if she’s ready for dinner. She tells Spencer that she’s Trina’s mom Portia, and he says, how do you do? He’s Victor. Trina says she should have introduced them, and Portia asks if he’d like to join them for dinner… unless he’s expected at home. Trina says, mom, and Spencer thanks her for the invitation, but he has to get going. It was a pleasure meeting her. He tells Trina that he’ll see her later, and leaves. Portia says, so… Victor, huh? and Trina rolls her eyes.

Ava gets up, and tells Nikolas that she appreciates the gesture. She starts to leave, and he follows her, saying, it’s not a gesture. They can do this. They can take Avery and disappear. She says, running away won’t work. She can’t take Avery away from everything she’s ever known. She just lost her uncle, and her father, and her grandfather recently; all of whom she loved. She can’t take Avery away from her brothers and sisters. It’s just much too much disruption. He asks if it’s out of the question to fight for their marriage, and she says, it’s out of the questions to put Avery at risk just so they can be together. He might be willing to risk it. He might be able to dismiss the stuffed bear as some kind of prank, but she knows that if the stalker got that close to Avery once, he can do it again. She can not and will not take that risk. If he loves her, he’ll help her. He won’t fight her on the divorce, and he’ll agree to it to help expedite it. He says it seems he doesn’t have a choice. He’ll have Martin get the ball rolling on the divorce. They’ll file the paperwork, fill it with lots of boilerplate, negotiate everything from the division of property to a financial settlement. He’s sure Martin and Scotty can find plenty of ways to stall for time.

TJ tells Stella, he loves Jordan and Curtis, and hopes they work things out, but he’s pretty sure that ship has sailed. They’re both committed to moving on. She says, with other people? and he says not that he knows of, but it’s bound to happen at some point. He thinks she needs to accept that his mom and Curtis are over. She tells him, life takes many new twists and turns. Hasn’t he ever heard that saying, it ain’t over til it’s over? He asks what she did.

Carson tells Martin that she contributed to the African American associations and charities. She even had a Black roommate one semester in college. How dare this girl accuse her of bias or question her commitment to the law? He says, it’s outrageous. He can only surmise that Molly is prone to her mother’s unique instability. She says, so it would seem, and he says, seem? He’s known the judge for 20 years, and they travel in the same circles. He’s always known her to do what’s right. If Molly could look at this situation calmly, she’d see that the law isn’t only what’s written in the penal code. It has to adapt to social mores, lend itself to… interpretation. She says, absolutely. She has to evaluate each defendant not only on the basis of their past record, but how they were brought up, and what they’re future is likely to be. Some people only respond to incarceration, and that’s just the sad truth. He says he knows exactly what she means.

Shawn says he only told Molly because she’s already involved. She’s the one who brought Alexis the records. He wanted to warn her to stay away from Judge Carson. Alexis asks if he thinks Molly took is warning and is going to listen to anything he said, and he says he told her to take it to Diane and let her handle it. Alexis says, she’s not going to let it go. She’s not going to tell Diane; she’s going to keep it from Diane. She’s going to go in there, and try to rectify it herself, and Alexis can’t even go to her and try to talk some sense into her. Alexis starts to get wound up again, and says she has to get out of there. She has to get out of solitary.

Trina says, Victor is just a guy she knows. Don’t give him the third degree. Portia says she doesn’t know what Trina is talking about, and Trina says, all those questions about his family; she scared him off. Portia says all she did was invite him to dinner, and Trina says, then she asked if he was expected at home. Could she be more obvious? Portia asks if Trina is interested in this guy. He sure seemed interested in her. Trina says, he did? She means, he’s okay. He seems nice. Portia says, and hot, and Trina says, mom! Portia says she’s not blind. Where’d Trina meet him? Trina says, he works at The Savoy. If Curtis trusts Victor enough to hire him, then Portia can trust him too. Portia says, oh really? So this boyfriend’s for hire now? Trina says, my God, and Portia says she’s teasing. She can’t help but be interested in any boy who puts a smile on Trina’s face.

Spencer went to the cemetery, and looked at Mike’s gravestone.

Ava tells Nikolas, no stalling, no dragging things out. Do not fight her on this. He says he’s not, but she says he’s certainly not cooperating. What is it going to take? Something tragic to happen? She’d never be able to forgive herself, and she certainly wouldn’t be able to forgive him. He says, all right. He’ll tell Martin to make a quick divorce. Don’t worry. She says she won’t, once this is done. He touches her arm, and says he’s only doing this because he loves her. She says she knows. She loves him too. She leaves.

Curtis goes into Charlie’s and asks Stella what she’s been up to. She says she was just with TJ, and they were talking about how Curtis and Jordan still have some unfinished business. He says he wasn’t aware TJ knew about his and Jordan’s business or their divorce, and she says, that’s just it. After everything he and Jordan have overcome to be together, and she includes herself in that, they can’t just quit on each other. Given the time, they can work it out. He asks what she means by given the time, and she says, only that he and Jordan are together, and she’d say that to anyone. He says he has the feeling she already did.

Alexis says, this is partly Shawn’s fault. He knows he shouldn’t have told Molly. He says, because keeping things from Molly always works out so well. She hadn’t been able to reach Alexis. She was going to find out. He wanted Molly to watch her back so she didn’t rush into anything blindly. Molly might be idealistic, and even naïve, but she’s still smart. Smart enough to avoid trouble like Judge Carson, now that she knows about her. Alexis hopes he’s right. She has to believe that because she really has no other choice. He tells her, remember, Molly’s got people to lean on, and at this moment, she needs Alexis to work on herself. Focus on getting out of solitary. Can she do that? She says she doesn’t know, and he says, if she gets anxious, close her eyes, focus on her breathing, and stay in the moment, one breath to the next. She says she’ll do her best, and Henry says it’s time for them to go back to their cells.

There’s a knock on Jordan’s office door, and she says, come in. It’s Martin, and she asks if he has something for her. He says, only a recording of a very incriminating conversation with Judge Carson. We see Molly and TJ are in the office, and Molly says, the dishonorable Judge Carson is going down.

Tomorrow, Curtis asks where Stella gets off telling Portia something like that, Jordan asks what Molly wants her to do, Maxie asks what someone is doing in Port Charles, and Carly is going to let Jason break the happy news.

We learned KJ had moved to Rye when she was 11, and had her first listing there. NYC had been hit hard with covid, and people were moving to places like Rye. She didn’t usually sell outside NYC, but thought it was a unique opportunity to use her skills in another market, plus, it was her home town. She joined agent Kim at the property, where they met with owners Ravi and Lisa. KJ said she wasn’t used to so much green, and she didn’t mean money. The house was 5700 square feet, with 20 foot ceilings, 5 bedrooms, 5.5 baths, and ¾ of an acre. The kitchen was massive, with Miele appliances, and the primary bathroom had a jacuzzi and heated floors, but the coolest thing was a secret passage from the upstairs into a bedroom above the garage. In KJ’s interview, she said one of her greatest strengths was her honesty with sellers. They needed to hear from an expert what modifications had to be made for the property to sell. She told the couple what she thought needed to be updated, and believed $3.8 million was the highest they could go (her potential commission being $114K). The owners agreed, but hoped for a bidding war.

Fredrik was driving his convertible Bentley in L.A., but said he was in constant communication with his team in NYC. The 10^th Avenue property was a test to see if the bi-coastal thing would work. If you remember, Fredrik participated in the showings as a robot – i.e. an iPad on a stick – and he said the showings were a massive success. He got two offers, one of $6 million and another just under that. He thought any offers were an accomplishment considering the market. He grooved to the stereo in his car, saying, since nightclubs were closed, the car was the new dance floor. He drove to Palm Springs to visit property owner John, and the temperature was 116 F. I will never, ever live in Palm Springs. He’d sold John the apartment in 2009, but John was retiring with his partner, and Fredrik wanted to do his best for him. He explained that NYC wasn’t doing too well, plus it was an election year, and no matter what, the uncertainty affected the market. There was also the pandemic, and around 40,000 apartments available. If he wanted to sell now, Fredrik thought they should entertain the offers. They’d asked $6.95 million, and John said he was disappointed. He’d hired Fredrik because he was supposed to be the best, but it looked like he’d be losing money. Fredrik called the two brokers involved, and the best he could do was get the $6 million as a firm offer. John decided to wait it out. BTW, Fredrik and Derek’s twins certainly grew.

Ryan was involved with developer Avi’s 138 unit, humongous building in Brooklyn. In Ryan’s interview, he said it was going to be the most luxurious new development project Brooklyn had ever seen. Avi was tough, but Ryan said he was nothing if not persistent. He’d sent Avi a tree because he wanted to grow the relationship, along with a video marketing the building as if they were already hired. He told us, play it like you’ve got the money in your pocket. It worked, because Ryan got the building. He had a lively discussion with driver Yuriy about how many floors it was, Ryan explaining it was 21 floors, and Yuriy insisting it was 155. Ryan said Yuriy had to work on his Russian counting. The building façade was now entirely up, and inside, the rooms had been formed. Ryan had been worried the project would stop after non-essential workers had been non-working for four months. His potential commission was a heart-stopping $9 million, but dropped to $0 when Avi told him to put it on hold; they were possible doing rentals. He told Ryan the election was bringing nerve to market, and covid was still very real. They had decisions to make, and might have to pivot. Where was Brooklyn going to be in a year? Ryan was sure the market would bounce back, but Avi wasn’t budging.

KJ set up a picnic for potential buyers and brokers, so they could wait in the backyard comfortably, while waiting for their private tours. She said when she was growing up, she didn’t know what her career path would be, just that it would be fabulous. We saw a lot of old photos.

Fredrik said having twins and a big-ass career was a lot. He had one phone for the East Coast, and another for the West Coast. He approached Derek about possibly having more kids, but Derek thought life was going by too fast as it was, and they hardly had time together. In Fredrik’s interview, he said he understood, but didn’t want to look back and think coulda, shoulda, woulda. We flashed back over their journey to parenthood, and Fredrik told Derek, he’d finally found some friends on his level with the twins. Derek said he just didn’t want their life to get too complicated, and Fredrik said if Derek wanted simple, Derek shouldn’t have married him.

The owners had taken KJ’s advice, and she said the small changes would make a big difference. The picnic was set up, and it was adorable, with round blankets that had picnic baskets in the center. KJ said there was no comparison to the space you got there to what you’d get in the city. It was lush, private, and large, and what New Yorkers wanted to move to. Kim entertained in the backyard, while KJ did the showings. KJ’s mom, with the unfortunate name of Karen, came along with some buyers as their interior designer. In KJ’s interview, she said her mom had been in the business for 38 years. Tyler brought a couple who were his clients, and in her interview, KJ said before the pandemic, she and Tyler weren’t the best of friends. We flashed back to that, and KJ said that during quarantine, Tyler had FaceTimed her and apologized. We saw a clip of their conversation, and in Tyler’s interview, he said it had been his ego talking.

KJ said her mother had a lot of opinions, but she just let her talk during showings because it was usually going in the right direction. Sometimes she even paid her mom commission. She thought it was a great event. It had showcased the property well, everyone had a good time, and they had perfect weather. She’d gotten incredible feedback, and hoped for an offer.

Fredrik said the $6 million wasn’t the best offer, but in this market, it was. John rethought things, and decided it was the best they were going to get in the near future. It took him like ten minutes to spit it out. Fredrik’s commission was $180K, and he was thrilled with his first deal in NYC from L.A. It made him a true bi-coastal hustler, and his rap name was Six Percent.

Next time, Steve has a farmers market at Artemis Farm, a client is unhappy with Fredrik, and a germophobe doesn’t want to live where someone has lived before. Shades of Teresa from RHONJ.

General Hospital

Nina puts the necklaces together, and looks at Nathan’s picture. She asks him, what is it about their family? All the time she spent looking for her daughter, and she was right in front of her, begging to be seen. She was Nelle’s last chance. She won’t let down another child in their family. Jax knocks at her office door, and comes in. He says she hasn’t been returning his calls or texts, and asks her not to shut him out.

Jason tells Carly, it’s all set, and she asks if he thinks it’s going to work. He says, it might not be exactly what Martin wanted, but it’s what he’s getting.

The hostess at the MetroCourt slides a box over to Martin at the bar. He asks what it is, and she says, he’s Martin Grey, right? He says, maybe, and she says she’s seen him there often enough to know his name. The package was delivered for him. He opens it, and takes out a phone with a post-it note on it that says Florence.

Chase goes to Sonny’s place, and Michael answers the door with Willow. He asks if it’s official business, and Chase says it’s about his father’s funeral.

Sonny wipes down the bar at the Tan-O, and Phyllis asks how he’s doing. He says he’s kind of down, but the meds are making him feel calm; not amped up like he was. She asks if he feels more like his old self, and he says, he wouldn’t know that, because he still doesn’t know who he is.

Finn goes into an empty examining room at the hospital, and closes the blinds. He opens a briefcase and takes out a swab. He swabs his mouth, puts it in an envelope, and seals it, putting it back in the case. He takes it to the reception desk, and a tech tells him, the lab called. He wanted some tests run? He gives her the envelope with the swab, and another with Chase’s water bottle in it. He says he needs the DNA results as soon as possible, and she says, he’s got it. He turns around and sees Jackie, and walks away. She follows him, asking him to wait.

At Nathan’s grave, Britt asks if he enjoyed their little visit earlier. Her, Nina, and Maxie, all there to pay their respects. They easily could have gone down a dark path, like the three witches in Macbeth. Not that he ever struck her as a Shakespeare buff, but she thinks he knows what she means. Instead of going dark, the three of them formed kind of a sisterhood, united by their love for him. They made pact have each other’s backs, and she’ll need that, now that the dark prince seems to be on the rise. Peter shows up, and says, sorry. He didn’t know anyone was there. She mumbles, speak of the devil.

Anna says, the memories Franco received were from Drew’s life before he came to Port Charles. Valentin says, if Kirk was right, and Franco is hearing voices from the memory transfer, that means Peter knew Drew years ago, when Drew was still in the military. Anna says, if that’s true, why didn’t Peter ever say anything? and Valentin says, he doesn’t want them to know. Obviously, he’s been lying to them.

Phyllis says, Sonny still can’t remember anything? and he says, not since he woke up in the woods. She says, the fall into the river was bad enough, combine that with lack of sleep and a racing mind, no wonder his body and brain were exhausted. Maybe after a few days on the medication, when he’s rested, his memory will return. He hopes so. He doesn’t like feeling like a blank slate. Lenny comes in, and she says maybe Sonny and Lenny can look for any missing persons notices they missed at the trooper’s station, but Sonny says he doesn’t want anything to do with cops. Sonny walks off, and Lenny asks, what the hell was that?

Chase tells Michael, there will be extra cops on the streets and on the docks the day of Sonny’s funeral. Jordan wants them to know, if anyone causes trouble, the PCPD will be there to handle it. Michael says he’ll pass the message along, and excuses himself, saying he has to talk to his mom. Chase tells Willow, Michael isn’t the only reason he stopped by, and she says she didn’t think so. He says, it’s the worst timing. Michael losing his dad while they’re trying to figure things out. He says, that sounded horrible, but he misses her.

Michael tells Carly, Chase had a message from the PCPD. Jordan is going to have more police presence on the street for his dad’s funeral. It felt like a warning. Jason doesn’t think it’s a bad idea to have more police presence, but he doesn’t think there will be any trouble. Michael says, it feels surreal talking about it. He went to the site, and saw where the bridge collapsed. He knows his father is gone, but a funeral seems too final. Jason says, it feels too soon, especially since they didn’t recover Sonny’s body. Michael says, it’s not his place to say, and Carly says, it feels too soon to her too.

Britt tells Peter that she should talk to Nina about putting in a pop-up gift shop, for those making the pilgrimage there to find a piece of Nathan’s goodness to take with them. She asks if he thinks it’s too commercial, and he says he thinks it’s too tacky, but that’s not why he’s there. She asks why is he at their brother’s grave.

Anna asks why Valentin always jumps to the worst possible conclusions, and he says, Peter lying isn’t the worst possible conclusion. She says, the picture of Peter that’s coming into focus isn’t flattering, and he says they need to plot this out, and see where it leads. She says, she almost doesn’t want to, and he tells her, he says, for the purpose of this hypothetical, Franco is hearing Drew’s voice because he and Peter crossed paths while Drew was still in the military. Anna says, Drew disappeared from his post while he was stationed in Afghanistan, and Valentin says, how long between the abduction and the memory transfer? Maybe Drew and Peter interacted then. Anna says, which means Peter played more than a minor role in the crimes that were committed, and Valentin flashes back to Peter saying dead Helena was trying to expose his part in Drew’s abduction in Afghanistan. Anna wonders what Valentin isn’t telling her.

Jax tells Nina that he apologizes. He was wrong. For what it’s worth (🍷), he was protecting her. He didn’t know how to tell her that the daughter she was searching for was Nelle. What would be worse, knowing the pain Nelle inflicted or that she was already dead? Either way, Nina would be devastated. She says he should have respected her, and trusted she wasn’t a frail butterfly, who needed to be protected from the harsh truths of life. He should have told her everything. Instead, he let Carly convince him that not telling the truth would be better for her, when it was actually better for Carly. He got caught up in Carly’s hatred for Nelle, and the non-stop narrative of how evil she is, and how she doesn’t have a chance of redemption. She knows who Nelle was, and the atrocities she committed, but he knew the connection she felt for Nelle, to the point where she made sure Nelle got a decent burial, and she had no idea she was burying her own daughter. Jax swears, at the time, he had no idea, but she says, then he did. He had a choice, to help her deal with the news that her daughter was this troubled woman, who died before she had the chance to give her love, or to help Carly keep a secret. And he chose Carly. A tear rolls down Nina’s cheek.

Peter tells Britt, he came there to tell Nathan that he’s going to do right by Maxie and James, and he’s going to be a good husband and father. She says, as good as Nathan? and he says, Maxie loves him. She says, that didn’t answer the question. Will he be as good as Nathan? If you ask her, that’s asking the impossible.

Carly tells Michael, she agreed to the funeral for the same reason Jordan is putting on extra cops; as a safety precaution. Michael asks how that works, and Jason says, Sonny’s disappearance created a vacuum in the business, which is creating instability. Michael says he gets it. A change in management leaves the company vulnerable to a takeover. Carly says, it will show any potential rivals that the territory is secure, and Jason says, the service is to honor Michael’s father, but the timing is to send a message that Sonny is gone, and he’s in charge.

Martin pushes a button on the phone, and says, hello, mother?… He can’t tell her how good it is to hear the sound of her voice. How is she?… He knows the move to the new place must have been a surprise. Is she comfortable, and are they taking good care of her?

Jackie follows Finn in to an examining room, and says she can keep following him all day. He asks, what’s the alternative? and she says, take a minute to talk to her. He says, usually when someone tells him to go to hell, he assumes that’s the end of the conversation. She says, she lost her temper; she’s sorry. He asks what she thinks they have left to talk about, and she asks him to dial back the animosity; she’s not his enemy. At least she doesn’t want to be. He says, all he wants is some answers. He needs to know if Chase is his son or his brother. She asks if he’s thought it through. Does he really need to know? Has he considered that if he goes through with this, it could destroy Chase’s entire life?

Valentin tells Anna, what did or did not happen when Drew was abducted, it was a full five years before Peter came to Port Charles. Peter may be downplaying his involvement, but which one of them hasn’t glossed over a detail or two? Besides, it all hinges on Kirk’s theory, and they can’t interview a dead man. Anna says, that brings her to her other concern. How or why did Kirk transfer Obrecht from Steinmaur to one of his less secure facilities in Geneva? And why are her whereabouts classified? He says, it’s above Anna’s paygrade; that must be humbling. She tells him, if Obrecht is out, she’s going to be coming for Peter. Valentin has to talk to him, and try to prove what she’s beginning to suspect is wrong.

Britt says, Peter is nothing like Nathan. He’s more like their daddy dearest. What’s the saying? Something about an apple and a tree… He says he’s nothing like their father. There’s good in him that comes from his mother. She says, maybe Anna didn’t save him as much as he thinks, because he’s a helluva lot closer to their father than Anna or Nathan. As Britt leaves, she mutters that she hates telling her mother she was right. Peter watches her go.

Jax tells Nina, misguided or not, it wasn’t about protecting Carly, but protecting her. Nina says, but who protected Nelle? Her mother sent her beautiful baby to a man capable of ripping out her kidney and selling it. Good God, Nelle lacked what she needed in life because Nina’s mother deprived her of it. Then Nina testified against her. She betrayed her daughter, the only child she’ll ever have in her life. She walks away from him.

Michael tells Carly, Nothing meant more to his dad than family. If having the funeral now makes it safer, especially for Josslyn and the girls, Sonny would be all for it, and so is he. Carly asks, what about the other kids? They must have questions. Michael says, Dante has been distracted since he got stabbed with a loaded syringe, but he talked to Kristina. Carly asks if she objects, but he says she knows Carly and Sonny were married, and supports her decision. Carly says she knows it’s the right choice, but she hates it.

Lenny tells Phyllis, Mike (Sonny) doesn’t know who he is, but he sure as hell doesn’t like cops. He wonders if Sonny is a criminal. What are they getting themselves into? She says, the trooper wasn’t exactly friendly when he brought Mike home. It makes sense he’d prefer to avoid them. Lenny says, it’s not his home; he’s just staying with them. They still don’t know anything about him. She says, that’s enough, and asks if Mike hasn’t proven already that he’s a good guy. He defended them when a guy tried to rob them, and he’s helping without them asking. Lenny says, because he’s bipolar and off his meds, but Phyllis says, even on medication, he almost single-handedly restored their kitchen. Lenny wouldn’t know a blessing if it smacked him in the nose. Sonny joins them, and he says he hears what they’re saying, and he’s sorry he’s frustrated, but there’s something about the trooper that doesn’t feel right in his gut. They’ve been nothing but kind to him, and he doesn’t want to be a burden. He’ll pack up and move on. Lenny says, no. He’s not going to let Sonny do that.

Sonny says, Lenny won’t let him leave? Lenny says, what Sonny does is his business, but he’s not the kind of man who would let Sonny run off without properly compensating him for his hard work. Sonny says they don’t owe him anything. They provided for him, gave him food, and a place to stay. If anything, he owes them. He doesn’t want to be a burden. Lenny asks, who said he was a burden? There’s not much money, but there’s plenty that needs doing. As long as he’s willing to work hard, he’s doing them a favor. Phyllis says he needs to time to get back on his feet, and if he stays, she can monitor his medication, and make sure he’s getting the proper dosage. Sonny says, okay. He’ll stay, but he has conditions. He’s tasted their sauce, now they have to let him make his own.

Carly tells Michael and Jason, she went over the arrangements with Father Reyes, and he’s been wonderful. Sonny’s headstone will be placed with Mike and Morgan. She knows the importance of ritual and saying goodbye. They’re probably not going to recover Sonny’s body, and this is probably the only closure they’re going have, but it’s hard. She keeps thinking of all the places Sonny isn’t going to be, and all the experiences he’s not going to have. There’s this gaping hole inside. Michael says he keeps expecting Sonny to walk through the front door, and Jason says, him too. Michael says, it’s not like this wasn’t a possibility, given Sonny’s line of work. He’s not so naïve to think it might not catch up with Sonny, but now he wonders what he’s going to do without him. Carly says, they’ll do what his father would want. They’re going to keep going.

Martin says, his mother really thinks the food is that much of an improvement over Mountain Landing Long Term Care?… Noted. He must say, it does his heart good to know the nurses there are spending so much time with her… Agreed. A phone call is wonderful, but doesn’t take the place of an in-person visit… Wonderful. He’ll be seeing her as soon as he can. She knows how much he loves her. I love Martin right at this moment.

Jackie says, there has to be a way to make peace that doesn’t destroy Chase’s happiness. Clearly, Chase loves Finn. He loves having an older brother, and being an uncle to Violet. Why risk throwing that away? Finn says, in his heart, he believes Chase is his brother, but if he turns out to be Chase’s dad, he doesn’t know if he’ll tell Chase, for all the reasons she mentioned. He nearly died recently, and it hit him. If this is all the time he has left, he wants to know if Chase is part of the legacy he’ll leave behind. Jackie asks if Chase isn’t still part of Finn’s legacy as his brother, and Finn says being father to Violet changed him; it changed everything. If Chase turns out to be Violet’s brother, if something happens to him, it would be comfort to know his children had each other.

Peter talks to Nathan’s headstone, saying, he’s sick and tired of the non-stop comparisons to Nathan. He’s tired of Maxie’s love being questioned all the time. Trust him, his dearest brother, once he’s Maxie’s husband, he’ll make sure Nathan’s ghost is relegated so deep into the past, he can assume his rightful place as a distant memory. James already looks at Peter like his father, and soon Maxie herself will think of him as James’s dad. Valentin appears, and says, that’s very touching.

Jax tells Nina, she didn’t betray Nelle. She told the truth under oath. An innocent child’s life was in play, and they all did their best to protect Wiley; Willow, Michael, Carly and her. Nina says she never questioned Carly’s love for her family. She’s been supportive of the way Carly and Jax co-parent, but what hurts is, Jax couldn’t look past what Carly needed to what she might need. When Nelle died, there was no more threat to Wiley, but Carly still pressured him to keep the secret, and does he see what that would have cost her? He says he’s not following. By the time they put the clues together, Nelle was dead for months. She says, her daughter is dead and there’s nothing she can do to change that, but Wiley is still alive. Doesn’t he see that keeping her in the dark about her connection to Nelle could have kept her from a lifetime with her grandson?

Jax says this is going be hard to believe, but it never occurred to him that she was Wiley’s grandmother too. He’s sorry. If he’d known that, he would have told her the truth right away, no matter how hard it was. He swears. Nina says, it sickens her to say this, but she doesn’t trust him. If she can’t trust him, she can’t share the decisions she’ll be making about her grandson with him. Jax says he’s scared about where she’s going with this. She’s pushing him away, and she doesn’t have to, he promises. She tells him not to make it harder for her. Just go. He says, please, but she turns her back to him. As he walks out the door, he keeps trying to say something, but has no words.

Valentin says he didn’t expect to find Peter there. Quite a show of devotion considering… Peter says, what? and Valentin says, Peter and Nathan were brothers, but Peter barely knew the man. Peter says, Nathan was important to Maxie, and Maxie is important to him, and Valentin says he’s impressed. Peter has worked hard to be an honorable man. Still, a few stray strands of truth are unraveling. Peter asks what he means, and Valentin tells him, Obrecht’s whereabouts are unknown. Peter says, she’s supposed to be locked away in Steinmaur, but Valentin says, she was transferred, and now she’s off the grid. Peter asks if Valentin thinks she’s coming for him, and Valentin asks if she has reason to.

Anna goes to the hospital, and says Britt is just the person she’s looking for. She could use Britt’s professional opinion about a person missing under a doctor’s care. She’s prone to self-aggrandizing, fantasy and delusion, and she’s suddenly gone missing. Britt says, she’s a doctor, not a P.I., and Anna says, but what does she think about this individual? Is she safe out there, or should the authorities be notified?

Jackie tells Finn, Chase raves about Violet. If he was her brother instead of her uncle, those feelings wouldn’t change, but he’d be devastated to lose his brother. She sees how much Finn loves Chase too. Finn says he convinced himself that he didn’t need family; he didn’t need anyone. Violet and Chase proved him wrong. She says, let that be enough. Please. Chase wanted a functional, loving family his entire life, and now he has three family members; his mother, his father, and his brother. Finn says he told her, it’s long shot, but if it turns out he’s Chase’s dad, he doesn’t know if he’ll tell Chase. She says she doesn’t think he could keep it a secret for long. Then what? Everyone Chase knows, loves, and trusts won’t be the people he thought they were. It will completely tear his life apart. Chase comes in, and says, look at this. They’re both in the same room, no one is bleeding, and nothing is on fire. Isn’t that great?

Jason asks if Carly is sure she wants to do this; he can handle it. She says, no. She wants to be there. She opens the door to Martin, and says, Mr. Grey. How good of you to come. She invites him in.

Phyllis gives Sonny a bag, and says, fresh tomatoes, just like he requested. He drives a hard bargain. Sonny asks if Phyllis is sure Lenny is okay with him staying, and she says, trust her. He would be out of there in a heartbeat if Lenny wasn’t. And his work isn’t charity. They need help. If she’s being honest, it’s a relief knowing he’ll be there if another customer problem. He says she has his word. No one is going to rob her and Lenny again as long as he’s around. She says, he may now know much about who he is, but she has the gut feeling that he’s certainly a man of his word. Sonny wonders if he can ask her about something that’s been bothering him. She says, sure, and he says, obviously he doesn’t know who he is, but there are people out there who do know. How come they’re not looking for him? Phyllis takes Sonny’s hand, and asks, how does he know they’re not?

Britt tells Anna that she doesn’t speculate on hypotheticals, but Anna says, this is very real, and potentially dangerous. Unless Britt helps. Britt asks, how? and Anna says, tell her where Obrecht is, and she promises she won’t shoot Obrecht on sight.

Valentin dusts off Nathan’s tombstone, and says, it’s come to his attention that Franco Baldwin can place Peter at the scene of a crime. Peter says he doesn’t know what Valentin is talking about, and Valentin says, let him clarify. Franco is channeling Drew’s memories, and they’re resurfacing. Peter says, all he knows about Franco, is his tumor is resurfacing, which makes him a potential threat. Valentin says, Peter didn’t seem to feel that way when he burst into the operating room to stop the man sent to kill Franco. Peter asks where Valentin is going with this, and Valentin says he’s just playing with puzzle pieces to see what fits. If Franco Baldwin, Drew Cane, Jason Morgan… Peter says, what about Jason? and Valentin says, it wasn’t that long ago, Peter came to him, frantic that he’d crossed Jason. What did he mean by that exactly?

Jackie says, look at Chase, with his smart mouth. She and his brother are grown-ups. They can still manage to have a polite conversation. Chase says, anything he should know? and she says she’s just following a lead. She thanks Finn for the talk, says goodbye to Chase, and leaves. Chase tells Finn, he’s sorry, but did some minor miracle just happen? They sounded almost friendly. Finn tells him, focus on the almost part, and asks him why he’s there. Chase says he just thought he’d thank his big brother for his moral support. Finn takes it they’re talking about Willow, and it went well. Chase says, it did. He just left her, and she said they had more than a chance of a future together, and it’s all because of him. He pulls Finn into a reluctant hug, and says, thanks, man.

Michael says there’s something he and Willow need to talk about. She says, sounds important, and he says, it is. They talked about her moving out… She says, and he has safety concerns because of Franco’s medical condition. He says, now they have one more reason to worry, and she says, he means Chase’s message. Telling them there will be more police in the streets wasn’t exactly subtle. He says, so she caught that too, and they sit. He tells her, he and his dad lived very different lives workwise, and their business lives never crossed paths. She says she knows that, and he says, but he’s Sonny’s son, and has his name. Since his father was a don (there, he said it), there will be people out there expecting Michael will take over for Sonny, and they might not want that to happen. She asks if he’s in danger, and he says, he doubts it, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be careful. He wonders if she’d consider moving into the Quartermaine gatehouse. Wiley will have easy access to both of them, and she’ll be safer there. Will she at least consider it?

Martin tells Carly and Jason, he had a very nice conversation with his mother earlier. He was gratified to find out that, not only the food, but the nursing staff is a marked improvement from her last location. Carly is glad Florence feels well taken care of, and he says, as is he. He’s aware that tomorrow is her husband’s funeral. Out of respect for her loss, he’s backing away from seeking his mother’s freedom, for now. In the meantime, he hopes she and Jason understand, one fragile old woman can’t hold the peace of Port Charles for long. Jason and Carly look grim.

Jackie goes to the reception desk at the hospital, and says she’s looking for an old friend of hers – Bobbie Spencer. The reception nurse says, she’s sorry; Bobbie no longer works there. Jackie says, too bad. She was hoping to catch up with Bobbie. Does the nurse know where she’s working now? The nurse says, last she heard, Bobbie was working for a private patient in Vermont. Jackie says, Vermont is so beautiful. She loves Vermont.

Nina looks at the necklaces, and puts one on. She makes a call. Sonny answers, the Tan-O. Mike speaking. Nina is like, whaaat?

On Monday, Nina asks Sonny what his name is again, Elizabeth asks if that’s an apology, Valentin says he has his theories and wants to hear Peter’s, and Josslyn tells Carly that she feels like their family can never escape her.

General Hospital

Ava tells Spencer, it’s wonderful to see him looking so well. She thanks him for meeting her, and he says the headmaster summoned him; he didn’t have a choice. She says she asked that he not mention her name, since she was afraid Spencer would refuse the visit. She knows the last three years have been difficult. He says she’s the woman who sold him out to his evil uncle, and she says she’s deeply sorry. She hopes he forgives her when he sees all is not lost. Spencer says he’s he lost more than enough; his inheritance, his home, and his father. Nikolas puts his hand on Spencer’s shoulder, and says, he hasn’t lost his father. He’s here.

Laura meets Jax at the MetroCourt, and he says he appreciates her taking the time to meet with him. She says she makes time for all her constituents, even the ones who withhold vital information.

Michael asks what Willow means by Wiley not being safe with Brad. She says she found Nelle there in her bathrobe, looking quite at home. When she got there, Brad seemed nervous, like he didn’t want her there, and two seconds later, Nelle appeared. She said she was staying there, and made it clear that she could give Brad all the help he needs. Michael says, Nelle is wrong about that.

Brad tells Nelle that she can’t take care of Wiley. Lucas’s entire family will be up in arms. Nelle says, contrary to popular belief, Lucas’s family doesn’t run the entire world. Brad says, Wiley’s life has been full of disruptions. He misses Lucas, and doesn’t know her. He knows Willow. Nelle says they just need mommy and me time. As soon as Wiley is back in her arms, he’ll know he’s hers.

Spencer says Nikolas is really there, and they hug.

At the Crimson office, Nina tells Charlotte, it’s the best collage ever. Charlotte thinks they need more pictures. Curtis walks in, and says, no school? Charlotte tells him there was field trip, and she didn’t want to go, so her mom said she could hang out with Nina. They’re working on a collage for Charlotte’s English project. She tells Charlotte that Maxie left some back issues for her, and tells her to go check them out. Curtis says Charlotte seems okay, but Nina says looks can be deceiving. Charlotte has been asking to talk to her father. Curtis asks if Nina has too.

Taggert tells Jordan that he knew she was meant for bigger, greater things, and she says it means a lot hearing him say that. He notices her there’s a ring on her finger, and she tells him that she’s married. He congratulates her, and she says, what about him? How’s his wife? He says, that went south a long time ago, and she says they have a lot to talk about it. He suggests they start with her. Why did she ask him to drop everything and come back to Port Charles?

At the MetroCourt, Gladys tells Carly, it’s too much. A spa day and a personal shopper afterward; how can she repay Carly’s generosity? Carly tells Gladys to focus on herself, and enjoy the splurge. Carly sees Michael, and tells Gladys to pick what she wants off the spa menu for brunch. She goes over to Michael, and asks, what’s going on? Michael says, Nelle is staying with Brad, and she’s expecting to take care of Wiley. Carly says, over her dead body. There’s no way that psycho is getting near Wiley. Michael says, she already is. Willow says, of course (🍷) she’s manipulating Brad, and of course (🍷) he’s letting her.

Jax says that’s why he wanted to see Laura; to explain and apologize. He repeatedly asked Nikolas to reveal himself to her, but he said if Valentin found out he was alive, it would put her and Spencer in danger. He shouldn’t have been an accomplice for as long as he was, and he’s deeply sorry. Laura accepts his apology. After all, it wasn’t him who broke her heart. It was her son.

Nikolas says he missed Spencer more than anyone. Spencer says he’d pretend Nikolas was away on business, and imagine what they’d do when he returned. Where has he been?

Curtis sees the mock Crimson cover with Sasha on it, and asks Nina what that’s about. She says Lucy is resurrecting her cosmetics company, and Sasha is on board as a partner/spokesmodel. In a bold move, they asked Crimson to partner with them. They did have a clever business plan. He asks if she’s thinking of doing it, and she says she hasn’t made a decision. He asks, why wait? and she says, it’s not personal. She wants to make the right decision. Curtis says, one of the riskiest things when you’re under cover is developing feelings for the mark; you start to questions your loyalty and allegiances. Is she making a shrewd business decision, or is it a way to keep Sasha in her life? They were close, and he doesn’t believe it was an act on either of their parts. Nina misses her. Nina says she misses the idea of having a daughter. He asks if anything that came from her mother was ever true, and she says Valentin couldn’t prove if she did or didn’t have a daughter, and if he couldn’t do it, nobody could. She takes out the half-heart necklace, and says she’s never going to find out if she really had a baby. Um… wouldn’t her GYN know?

Brad brings out Wiley, and tells Nelle that he decided he’s too distracted to work. he suggests she not let them keep her, and go on with her day; enjoy. Nelle asks to hold him, but he says, Wiley has to get dressed. He gets cranky if schedule is interrupted. Nelle says she wants to hold her son, and Brad hands him over. She says, Wiley is right where he belongs.

Laura tells Jax that she’s glad he reached out. She has a good way for him to redeem himself, to her and the city. He says he wasn’t aware he’d wronged the city. She says she wants to renovate the waterfront, particularly the piers above Pier 26. She’s looking for partners in the business sector to get on board and do their civic duty. He says he read about it in The Invader, but she says the article was premature and not placed by her staff. She already reached out to ELQ, and now him. She didn’t think he’d want be left out. it’s going to decriminalize the waterfront for good. Jax says, it’s going to take quite a bit of financing, and she says she’s open to donations. He says, a charming shakedown. Gladys approaches the table, and says, hello. Jax introduces her to Laura, and Laura says Gladys must be related to Mike. Gladys is impressed about Laura being mayor, and says if she lived there, Laura would have her vote.

Willow says, Brad is completely unable to stand up to Nelle. Carly sees Gladys talking with Laura and Jax, and says, you’ve got to be kidding. She says they’re right to be concerned, and tells Michael, if there’s anything she can do, just ask. Right now, she has to handle something else. She goes over to Jax’s table and asks if everything is all right. Laura says, it’s fine, and Gladys says Jax was just introducing her to the mayor. Carly is sure Jax and Laura have business to take care of, and steers Gladys away. Laura says, interesting lady. She’s sure there’s a story there, and Jax says, for another day.

Willow asks where Michael is going, and he says, to get Nelle away from Wiley. Chase says he’s coming too. Half of this is his fault, and there’s no way he’s letting Wiley pay for it. Willow asks Chase to let her know what happens, and Sasha says, her too, and tells them to be careful.

Sasha asks Willow what Nelle is like. It’s hard to believe the creepy stories. Willow says, Nelle comes off all sweetness and light, a harmless waif, but just like that, she’s threatening. Then she says she didn’t mean it; she’s twisted. She even brought up Shiloh when they saw each other. Sasha says Nelle was probably trying to play with Willow’s mind. Sasha’s phone dings, and she says, it’s Nina. Willow asks if they’re texting now, and Sasha says she and Lucy pitched a partnership with Deception and Crimson. Nina seemed less than thrilled. Willow says maybe Nina wants to tell Sasha that she’s on board, and Sasha says maybe Nina wants to tell her where to stick her proposal. Willow says she’ll go along with Sasha. She needs a distraction.

Nikolas tells Spencer that it was the best thing he could come up with. He had to regain his strength and think of a plan. Nikolas says, for three years he forgot who Spencer was. Nikolas says he was being protective, and Spencer says he stayed away deliberately. Nikolas says, Spencer has to understand he needed to be strategic, and get things in place for his return. Spencer says what mattered was that he needed his father. What could have mattered more than that? Nikolas says his grandfather’s will was illegitimate, and left everything to Valentin. Spencer says he knows. He tried to fight Valentin, but Aunt Alexis said there was nothing they could do. Nikolas says he found a way to take everything back. There’s a codicil that makes him heir again. Spencer says Nikolas stayed away because he wanted his money back. It was more important that Valentin think he was dead than for Spencer to know he was alive.

Jordan tells Taggert that she wouldn’t have called if it wasn’t important. She didn’t want to open up that part of her life, and she’s sure he didn’t either. He says he hasn’t forgotten a moment, and she says she needs him to look at something. She hands him Bob’s folder, and says, no outsiders. He says, agreed, and opens the file.

Nina says, sorry; she knows Curtis is busy. He says if she wants to find out if she had a child or where they might be, he’s there for her. She she says, no more searching. She won’t reopen that wound. She and Curtis hug, and she looks at Charlotte. She says, she already has a wonderful daughter right there.

Nelle says, Wiley is so big. She had no idea what the color of his eyes or hair would be. He looks like Michael, but underneath, he’s all hers. She tells Wiley that she’s his mom, but Brad says she’s going to confuse him. She asks Wiley to smile for her, and there’s a knock at the door. She opens it to find Michael and Chase. She tells Michael, they were just talking about him.

Michael says he thought Brad was taking Wiley to daycare, but Brad says, he called in. Nelle says she and Wiley are getting to know each other. Michael says Wiley doesn’t need to know her. He takes Wiley from Nelle, and when she steps toward him, Chase tells her not to get any closer. She asks if they’re not overreacting. They’re acting like she’d hurt a child. Chase says she’s a convicted felon; they’re not taking any chances. She says, Michael is also a convicted felon. Michael asks, what’s her angle? and she says she sees Chase’s girlfriend wasted no time in snitching. Brad is her only friend in town. Where else was she supposed to go? And after what happened to Lucas, who is she to desert a friend in need? She should become Wiley’s nanny instead of Chase’s girlfriend. Chase tells her, leave Willow out of it. She says, Willow is out, and she’s in. Michael says he has another offer he thinks Nelle will have a hard time refusing.

Carly tells Gladys, she’s confused. Gladys says she hates to sound ungrateful, but massages make her claustrophobic. She knows Dev has a part-time job at the coffee warehouse, and asks if Carly thinks she could arrange a tour. Carly says she has to stop by, and Gladys can take a look at it, but there’s not much to see. Is she sure she doesn’t want to visit the spa? Gladys is sure, and Carly tells her to make herself comfortable. She has a few things to finish, and then they can go.

Jax tells Laura, if ELQ is in, he imagines he will be too. Laura says she considers him a decent man. He won’t remain that way if he’s around the Cassadine fortune. Remember that in case Nikolas asks to work with him again. She gets in the elevator, and goes down.

Nikolas tells Spencer that it was torture staying away. Ava says Nikolas was thinking of his best interests. That’s why she’s there. Nikolas had to work in the shadows; to take back what was theirs. Spencer says he needed his father. He broke both legs, and had to stay in the hospital for weeks. Nikolas could have come back any time. Spencer never had to leave home. Nikolas says he’s sorry, and Spencer says he cared more about getting back at Valentin than he did abut loving him. Ava says Nikolas always loved him, and Spencer says he hated Nikolas for dying, now he hates him for not staying dead. Nikolas says he needs some air, and steps outside. Ava says she can see how angry Spencer is, and he has every right to be, but the person he loves most just came back to him. He’s the luckiest boy on the planet. Can’t he see that?

Nina tells Charlotte that she’s good at this. Maybe she should hire Charlotte as her new art director. Sasha and Willow come in, and Sasha says Nina asked to see her. She says hi to Charlotte, who ignores her and asks if Willow wants to see her new school project. Willow says, sure, and Nina and Sasha go into Nina’s office. Nina asks if Sasha felt the need to bring her sidekick along for moral support, and Sasha says Willow was keeping her company, and she does like the moral support. She asks if Lucy shouldn’t be in on the meeting, but Nina says it’s just about them. She looked at the proposal, and it’s good; better than she expected. Apparently Sasha picked up some things working there. She’s decided to move forward – conditionally. Sasha asks what she wants, and Nina says the Deception/Crimson partnership will be launched with an in-depth cover story on Sasha; every aspect of her life. Nothing will be left to the imagination. Those are her terms. Take it or leave it.

Charlotte talks to Willow about horse books, saying she just finished Black Beauty. She says, it was sad in the middle, but at the end Beauty got to go back to where he used to live. All the bad stuff was just a mistake. Everything was fixed in the end. Willow says she likes happy endings, and Charlotte says she does too.

Sasha tells Nina to draw up the paperwork. She accepts Nina’s terms, and a contract will need to be signed. Nina doesn’t think Sasha understands the terms. They’re going to unearth everything; nothing will be left to the imagination. They’re going to include how Sasha lied to her, and Michael, and Valentin. Sasha says Michael has already forgiven her, and Nina has made clear she never will. She tells Nina, print what she likes. If putting her life on blast helps pay for what she did, so be it. Have a lawyer draw it up. She asks if that’s it, and Nina says she can go. Sasha comes out of the office, and Willow asks if she’s all set. They get in the elevator, and Sasha says, if setting herself up to public shaming is all set, she’s great. She just gave Nina permission to beat her up in print.

Taggert continues to look through the folder, and tells Jordan, it’s crazy. After everything they went through, there’s no way in hell. Jordan says that was her reaction too, but toxicology was specific. He says Bob barely drank, and never went near drugs; it makes no sense. She says, not to her either… unless something worse is going on. He says she’s got questions; he’ll get answers, and she tells him, be careful. Laura comes in, and asks if she’s interrupting. Jordan says they were just finishing up, and introduces Taggert. Laura says she remembers him, and it’s nice to see him again. What brings him back to Port Charles?

Michael says Nelle needs a place to stay. She says she has one, and he says he has a better one. There’s more privacy, and he knows how important that is after prison. Nelle says it’s touching. but why is he offering it to her? They were only married a short time. They did have a baby, but after the tragic circumstances, he’s under no obligation to help her. He says he’s fond of Wiley, and it will keep her away from him. She says, It makes sense. Wiley is the same age as Jonah would be. Chase asks if she cares about Brad. One call to social services from a concerned party saying there’s a convicted killer staying there, and they’ll be nosing around and scrutinizing everything. Nelle tells him to mind his own business, and Michael asks if she’ll take him up on his offer. It more than meets her standards.

Brad comes out, and Nelle is gone. He tells Michael and Chase that he’s sorry how things turned out. Nelle showed up last night. He didn’t agree to her being Wiley’s nanny. Did Willow say he did? Chase says, it’s been a rough morning. They’ll talk later after they decompress. Michael says Wiley is the number one priority. Lucas being in a coma is a tragedy, but it shouldn’t be compounded by putting Wiley at risk. Brad says he didn’t, but Michael says, Nelle is dangerous. She tried to kill him, and she killed Zak. Nelle having access to Wiley is unacceptable. He took an oath as Wiley’s godfather to look after him, and he’s going to do everything to make sure Wiley is safe.

Sasha tells Willow that Lucy thinks the scandal will help Deception launch. It’s her past, and her scandal. She actually does want to live life out in the open, and if people don’t appreciate it, oh well. Nelle approaches them, and says she didn’t think she’d run into a friendly face.

Taggert tells Laura that he’s a lieutenant now. He was passing through, and thought he’d say hi to an old friend. Laura says, they know each other? and Jordan says, it was a long time ago, and Taggert says, almost a lifetime. He says it was great seeing her, and Jordan tells him, don’t be a stranger. He leaves, and Laura asks if they worked together. Jordan says, it was years ago, and Laura says she’s been making good progress on the waterfront. Jax will be on board, providing ELQ is. Jordan says, many a mayor has tried to rehabilitate the waterfront and been unsuccessful. Laura says, they haven’t met this mayor.

Nina and Charlotte work on the collage. Jax walks in, and Nina says she’ll get him the projections. She digs around in the mess on her desk, and says, things have been hectic. Maxie took on a lot of responsibility, but she’s back. The transition is bumpy, but it’s fine. She gives him the projections, and he says he’s sure it will be back to normal in no time. She asks why she gets the feeling that he’s humoring her, and he says, because he is.

Ava says Spencer has always had insight beyond his years. He’s old enough to know parents aren’t perfect, and his father no different. Spencer says his father stayed away; that’s not love. Ava says he stayed to keep Spencer safe; to protect him from Valentin. Spencer says his father could have seen him in France, and Valentin would have never known. Ava says Spencer has a rare opportunity; a second chance with a loved one. It’s a miraculous thing, so many other people would give anything for. Don’t waste it. Spencer says if Ava thinks her heartfelt pleas are going to make him forgive Nikolas, sadly, she’s mistaken. She says she won’t excuse Nikolas, but she’s seen how much he loves his father, and how losing his father affected him. Nikolas loves him, and she thinks it’s time they both stop hurting, and put the anger aside. Let his father love him. It’s so much better than being alone . Nikolas comes back in.

Nikolas says, Ava is right. He has so much to make up for, and he’ll do what it takes. If Spencer lets him, he wants to restore the family. It’s what he’s wanted the whole time. Spencer says he could have had it if he’d come back, but he didn’t. He let Spencer believe he was dead. Spencer has lived every day for the past three years alone because of Nikolas. He built up the memory of a noble prince, but Nikolas is as heartless as Valentin Cassadine, and his legacy is more important than his son. Stay the hell away from him. Spencer slams out the door.

Nina tells Jax that she just met with Sasha, and decided to take the opportunity to rake her over the coals. This revenge thing is tougher than she thought. Jax says, people with good hearts have a hard time.

Charlotte cuts up the mock Crimson cover with Sasha’s picture on it, and smiles.

Curtis goes to Jordan’s office, and says he thought she could use one of these. He kisses her, and she says, always. They go into the office, and Taggert lurks in the hallway.

Nelle tells Willow, no introductions are needed. She recognizes Sasha from the picture on Michael’s phone. Nelle holds out her hand, but Sasha doesn’t take it. She says she knows who Nelle is. Nelle tells her not to believe everything she hears. They’ll have plenty of time to get to know each other better. Sasha doubts that, and Nelle says the Quartermaine mansion is big, but they’ll run into each other eventually. Michael asked her to move in. Willow says she’s lying, but what else is new? Michael doesn’t want her anywhere near him. Nelle tells her to phone him, and ask him herself.

Chase asks if Michael is sure he should invite Nelle back into the Quartermaine mansion. Michael asks if he’s heard about it being a good idea to keep your enemies close at times. This is one of those times. He’s going to let her think she’s winning, and when she drops her guard, he’ll drop the hammer. She’ll never see it coming.

Tomorrow, Nikolas tells Ava that he’ll do it on one condition, Willow wants to know how she can be okay with Brad raising her son, and Carly tells Nelle to mention Jonah one more time and see what happens.

Below Deck

Kevin moans while sitting in the crew mess. He tells the captain that he just took a painkiller, and to give it fifteen minutes. Captain Lee says to take as much time as it takes. In the captain’s interview, he says he’s the only one who knows the galley. He’s worked in restaurants, and is good on the grill, but he can’t make a pimple on the ass of Kevin’s preparation and presentation. He tells Kevin, keep him posted. Anchor is dropped and locked. The mystery dude asks Kevin how he’s doing, and what’s the contingency plan? Kevin says, there isn’t one, and goes back to the galley. In his interview, he says he feels a little better. It’s not the ideal state, but he needs to do dinner service. Rhylee says she doesn’t give a flying anymore.

Kevin goes over the dinner menu with Kate. Tonight’s entrée is venison. Alexis and her friends are jammed into the hot tub, where it looks way too crowded to be comfortable. Brian talks to Ashton about Courtney. In his interview, he says he thought it was a step in the right direction, talking about what happened, but Courtney is inconsistent about sorting it out. Ashton tells Brian, it’s a grey area; are they together or not? Brian says he doesn’t want to force anything. Alexis asks if Andrew is getting down on one knee tonight. Subtlety seems to be no one’s strong suit anymore.

In Kate’s interview, she says, Alexis wants an independence themed party to celebrate her divorce and independence. They get it. Her dry humping her boyfriend was their first clue. Alexis tells Kate that they want to eat inside. She doesn’t want to take another shower tonight. Kate says she’s excited, but in her interview, she says she hates it. There’s no room for mistakes when you’re two feet from plating. Kate and the other stews decorate in red, white, and blue, while Kate sings Grand Old Flag. Kevin continues to curse his life.

In Kate’s interview, she says Tanner is cute. He has no shame, but it’s not even creepy. It’s cute. She tells him not to talk to her, and Ashton asks if they’re fighting again. It’s so cute. Boat-mances. Simone asks who Ashton is referring to; Kate and… In her interview, she says she can’t believe this a-hole is doing this. It’s not like they have feelings for one another, but wtf? Ashton asks if she’s okay, and she says, kind of. She wouldn’t have gone there. He asks if she regrets it, and she says she does.

Captain Lee joins the guests for dinner. Tanner tells Rhylee that they should spray down the deck after dinner, but Rhylee thinks they could get ahead by doing it during dinner, since the guests are eating inside. Tanner complains that everything is a problem with Rhylee. Why does her idea always have to be the right one? Ashton agrees that they should wait until after dinner. In her interview, Rhylee says it doesn’t matter whether she’s right or wrong. Kate tells Simone that she’ll be doing cabins, and Courtney will be helping her. In Kate’s interview, she says she never breaks girl code, but Simone and Tanner are no longer hooking up, and Simone has been annoying her, so her girl code is slipping. Alexis says she’s thankful for her life, and loves everyone. Kevin suddenly wants the bisque poured at the table, but Kate says they didn’t discuss gravy boats, and they’re locked away. In her interview, she says this is why they went over this beforehand. In Kevin’s interview, he says Kate would rather float with Tanner and leave him in deep water. Tanner tells Kevin that he’s never going to win.

Simone bitches to Rhylee about Kate and Tanner. Rhylee is surprised to find out Simone didn’t know they had kissed. In Simone’s interview, she says her blood pressure is up. Rhylee says it’s a good thing they didn’t go further. Tanner is a moron. Simone wonders why she’s always the last person to find out about these things. Alexis says it’s the first time she’s had venison, and pronounces it amazing. Courtney kisses Brian, saying she doesn’t want to fight anymore. In her interview, she says she doesn’t like fighting, but she feels like it’s not resolved. She doesn’t want to be acrimonious anymore, and he’s cute. Kate tells Kevin the guests loved the dessert. Simone breaks a glass, and Kate jokes that it’s okay; they only have one more charter. In her interview, Simone says she doesn’t respect Kate anymore. Go ahead and laugh, bitch.

Final day of charter. Kevin says he can bear through it. Brian tells Ashton that he and Courtney made up. Tanner oversleeps, and Ashton finally makes him get up. In Ashton’s interview, he’s concerned about Tanner making it a habit of oversleeping. In Rhylee’s interview, she says she’s at her wit’s end with this crew. She works as hard, or harder, than Tanner, but he’s one of the boys, so he gets away with murder.

Courtney takes breakfast orders, and the guests are happy. The captain asks Ashton how things are going with Rhylee, and Ashton says, much better. They’re great when they all work as a team. Captain Lee is like, wonderful, now that it’s the end of the season. Tanner and Brian are talking on deck, while Captain Lee and Ashton watch from the wheelhouse. The captain tells Ashton he’s going to wait for them to be distracted, and then blows the horn, giving them both a heart attack. He and Ashton laugh their asses off. The captain radios for the crew to put on their whites, and startles the guests with the horn while they have a drink on deck. Luckily, they find it funny. It’s like he just found the horn or something. Kate sees the first boat she worked on, and gets nostalgic. In her interview, she says that boat is the reason she got into yachting. The last time she saw it, she was getting fired in the Bahamas. It’s like seeing a long lost love by accident, out of town.

It’s time for goodbyes. In her interview, Kate says the guests were nice, but she can’t wait to untuck her shirt and stop waiting on people. Alexis says it was the best vacation she’s ever taken, and Andrew gives Captain Lee the tip envelope. The crew has lunch, and none of the guys will slide over to let Rhylee sit. Courtney finally moves over, and Tanner gets up to eat at the counter, saying she can take his spot. In Simone’s interview, she says, they’re like mean kids on the playground. Rhylee eats in her cabin, and Ashton tells the others, it’s like a kid throwing their toys around; don’t pay attention. In Kate’s interview, she says when she started out on this adventure, she was a bad stew. She’s come a long way. She thinks it’s special the boat showed up in Thailand, but she can’t be yachting forever, and thinks she’s ready for a new adventure.

The tip meeting commences, and this time it’s $17,500, or S1590 a piece. The captain tells them to go out for dinner tonight, but they have an early morning with guests at 11:30 am. While she cleans the boat, Rhylee sees Brian and Tanner taking a smoke break. She thinks she should take up smoking. She can have twenty breaks, and alleviate the stress. Ashton whines that her comment isn’t constructive, and she says she was commenting in jest, like the dudes do. Ashton tells her, just calm down before it gets heated, and I desperately want to punch him in the face. He says she has an attitude and isn’t being constructive. He thinks the best thing would be for her to take a break. Rhylee says, the best thing would be for her to clean by herself, away from them. Ashton leaves, and she asks if he’s going to suggest firing her again. He tells Brian and Tanner that he’s done. In Tanner’s interview, he says, Rhylee is like a champagne bottle on New Year’s. She shakes it up, and you don’t know when the cork is going to pop. One more charter, and they’re done with Rhylee. The captain calls Kate, Kevin, and Ashton to the crew mess for a preference sheet meeting.

Captain Lee says their final guest will be sports broadcaster/writer Jamele Hill. It’s going to be an all ladies trip. They love delicious food, so he suggests Kevin feel free to pull out all the stops. She’s getting married later this year, so this is her pre-bachelorette party. They want a 90s theme party, and an all-white dinner party, which the captain is invited to attend. Jamele has requested dirty themed drinks, and Captain Lee asks if they can find those little d*ck lollipops. Kate says, anything for him. They also want a penis cake, and the captain says Kate can give Kevin ideas, harkening back to her talents with towel folding. She says, if it’s standing up, it will be more fun. Captain Lee thinks it’s going to be a great last charter. Kevin can’t believe he has to make a penis cake.

Rhylee tells Simone that she doesn’t think Kate particularly likes Tanner. Simone says she knows he asked Kate out at the beginning. How was she the easy bitch? In Simone’s interview, she says a lot of guys have let her down; her father being the prime example. She tries to be open and let people in, but when she does that in relationships, it doesn’t work out, and reminds her of the pain from the past. She tells Rhylee that she has to see him every day. She thought it was going to be casual, and be done. In her interview, she says she opened herself up to Tanner, and he played her. It’s hurtful and disrespectful. Rhylee suggests she get under someone else.

In the guys’ taxi, they toast to the last charter. They made it. In the other taxi, Rhylee says she thinks she’s underappreciated, and it has to do with one person in particular and their attitude. Kate says, it’s hard to watch it happening. In Kate’s interview, she says Rhylee deserves a chance work with a manger who manages. Ashton is too big for his bosun britches, and he’s not a good leader. Kevin asks if Kate is being too much of a bitch for Tanner. In his interview, Tanner says he wants to get laid; the bitchier the better. He thanks the guys for their support.

The crew heads to a Thai market to get food. A woman walks by with a cat wearing glasses and riding in a snuggly. Rhylee is excited about the market, and wants a scorpion on a stick. In Kate’s interview, she wonders if a scorpion is her spirit animal. They’re nice, then they kill you. Rhylee says it tastes like a corn nut, but saltier. Tanner sees the crickets, and says, Jiminy Cricket. In Kevin’s interview, he says he’s a chef in a Thai market, and if he has a chance to buy insects, he’s going to buy insects. He bogarts the fried crickets. Rhylee keeps trying to get in to order something, and he cricket blocks her. He tells the guys about how he pissed her off, and I want to smack Brian if he says bru one more time. In Rhylee’s interview, she says she’s not stupid. She knows Kevin is talking about her. Ashton anticipates drama? Here comes drama. There are some quick back and forth insults, ending with Rhylee calling Ashton a misogynist pig, adding that he’s arrogant and egotistical. In Simone’s interview, she feels like she and Rhylee are similar, but Rhylee actually says what Simone would like to say. Rhylee tells Kate that she wants to smash Ashton’s face in. Courtney tells Brian not to accelerate the situation, and he asks why she’s taking sides. Rhylee starts to get teary, and walks away, and Tanner says she wants a reaction. Simone says Rhylee isn’t crying for attention, but because she’s upset. Rhylee tells Ashton, eff off; she doesn’t like him. In Brian’s interview, Brian says that Courtney needs to see that it’s Rhylee stirring the pot. Courtney says he’s allowed to tell Rhylee to calm down, but gets mad at her for doing the same thing he does. He tells her that she’s being ridiculous, and Courtney starts to cry. In her interview, she says she’s not used to someone she cares about being aggressive and yelling at her for no reason; it’s shocking.

Back in the taxi, Courtney wonders why Brian is so mean. Rhylee follows Ashton to the guys’ taxi, and asks if he thinks she should be fired. He says he’s not saying anything. Courtney says, whenever she has an opinion, it’s not valid, but when Brian does, it counts. He’s hot and cold. In Kate’s interview, she says it started off being a nice night eating scorpions, and they ended up with Rhylee in full rage and Courtney sobbing. When Rhylee screams at her, she feels like it’s in a sister way. Rhylee knows she’ll take it. Brian – wait for it – gives out friendship bracelets to all the guys, proving that they really are fourteen-year-old girls. Rhylee says Kate isn’t the one getting the brunt of it, and Kate asks Rhylee to stop talking. They head back to the boat, and Rhylee asks if her time is over to feel bad about how she’s treated. She asks Courtney, what happened? and Kate says, what does she think? She didn’t notice while she was in a blackout rage. Rhylee tells Kate, get off her jock.

Brian asks if Tanner is still going to bang Kate, and Ashton says he’s not getting involved in any more drama. Rhylee says Kate acts like the queen bee. It’s not a not yacht crew; it’s just dumb effing nonsense. Back on the boat, Courtney ignores Brian. Brian tells Rhylee to smile, and I’m shocked she doesn’t deck him (no pun intended) right there. Simone asks how Courtney is feeling, and Courtney says Brian is mean to her about everything she has an opinion on. In Courtney’s interview, she says she’s over it, especially when Brian has been drinking. She doesn’t get conversation; she gets, I can’t believe you did that. He deals with conversations like a toddler.

The guys sit at a table, drinking on deck. As they see Kate coming toward the boat, Ashton says, Tanner has an agenda tonight. Kevin says, he’s on a mission. Tanner says when the Rhylee sh*t happened, he knew that was it. The guys make lewd comments and laugh. Kate comes through, and asks if she can get them something, calling them a bunch of sh*ts. In her interview, she says she can’t her what they’re saying, but she’s been around them long enough to know when her name is involved, she can be pretty sure they’re talking sh*t about her. She slams the door, saying, eff you, and going back inside. Kevin suddenly remembers his cricket purchase, and goes to get them in the galley. Kate tells him, get out of the interior, and won’t let him through, saying, go the long way. In Kate’s interview, she says Kevin has put his foot down, and made an argument out of everything. She heads a department too. Her department is the interior, and he can’t be in it. She slams the door to the galley access. In Ashton’s interview, he says, she’s acting like a little brat. Kevin tells Kate, don’t be dramatic. He goes back to the table, shouting, wake up the captain; Kate is being dramatic!

Captain Lee says, eff me, and comes out of his cabin in PJ bottoms, sans shirt. Kate tells the guys, she walked up on them talking sh*t. She heard them on the dock. Captain Lee walks out, and asks, wtf is going on? Ashton shrugs, and the captain says, no one knows, and he doesn’t want to know. Ashton points a literal finger at Kate, and Captain Lee says, he doesn’t want to know. All he wants is them to get to bed, and be ready to go in the morning. The rest is irrelevant bullsh*t. In his interview, the captain says they have charter guests coming in less than twelve hours, and the crew is up kicking a dead horse. He’s madder than a pissed on chicken. They’re acting like a-holes, and there’s going to be hell to pay in the morning.

He says, at this hour, he doesn’t need to be hearing slamming doors and yelling. If anyone takes issue with that, they can see him in his quarters. The captain goes back in, slamming the door. Kevin says, oh sh*t.

Next time, Brian asks Courtney for no more drama; Captain Lee says if anyone feels they can’t get along, they can pack their bags; and Kevin asks Kate why she’s being a d*ck.

📺 Weekend Watching…

Besides overindulging in 90 Day Fiancé, I discovered yet another Tyler Perry gem. It’s not exactly new, having premiered in fall of last year, but I kept missing it. There’s nothing I love more than a marathon, and BET had Tyler Perry’s The Oval on rotation. I. Loved. It. It stars Ed Quinn (Randy, Two Broke Girls) as POTUS, who is one nasty piece of work. Although he’s nothing in comparison to FLOTUS (Kron Moore), who beat up a woman and tased her own daughter in the first episode. They’re not like any first family you’ve ever seen, and the show is like Dynasty times ten on crack. I don’t know how often I’ll be able to catch it, but it’s definitely worth catching.
