What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Sam tells Alexis, whatever Kristina’s Pledge was, it’s gone. Alexis has the feeling Shiloh isn’t done yet. Maybe it’s the Cassadine sixth sense. Sam suggests it’s Cassadine paranoia, but Alexis says, with Shiloh, that’s not possible.

Julian tells Lucas that Shiloh doesn’t know Wiley is his child, but Lucas says Shiloh is determined to find his child. What if he finds out? Julian says the records are sealed. Lucas says Shiloh didn’t know about the adoption. If he finds out, he can challenge it, and Lucas could lose his son. How can they make sure that doesn’t happen? Julian says he’ll do everything in his power make sure they hold on to Wiley.

At the hospital, Franco can’t decide on a tie, and Elizabeth tells him to go with no tie. He says this is why he married her. Lulu joins them, apologizing for being late, but Elizabeth says they haven’t started. Lulu didn’t know this was going to happen today. She thought it would be on hold on until Jordan recovered. Franco says, if she recovers.

Curtis tells Jordan that she should put this off; she can barely sit up. She says she’s still commissioner. She can do this – as long as he has her back. He says he does, and he’s getting her that kidney. She knows he will.

We see Ryan handcuffed to his hospital bed.

Nina asks if Jax is a champagne salesman on the side. He says he’s a big believer in celebrating important moments. She says it’s her favorite drink ever, and this is good stuff. Something great must have happened. He says that’s why he needs to raise a toast to the office that’s now part of his company. He tells her, say hello to the new owner of Crimson. She says, no more of this until he explains that. Jax says he made a deal with Drew, and has acquired 50% of Aurora Media. He’ll be controlling the print division, including the magazine. Nina says, amazing. Jax thinks they can use a change. His goal is to expand, not just online, but magazine and book sales. He expects it will be a good opportunity for Crimson. Nina says he’s an international finance expert. Why is he there? He says, his daughter.

Sam hears something as she’s about to go into her apartment. It’s Julian, who says he’s there about her brother. He needs her help. She lets him in, rolling her eyes.

Alexis meets Lucas at the MetroCourt. She says he told her it was urgent; will Brad be joining them? He says Brad is home with Wiley to make sure no one gets to him. Alexis asks if they’re worried about anyone in particular. Lucas says, Wiley’s birth parent.

Willow is on the phone with Diane. She says she was just worried, and thanks Diane for talking her down. Chase comes in with flowers for her, and she says she was arranging a meeting with her lawyer. She asks what the flowers are for, and he says he’s so sorry for leaving her hanging at the Nurses Ball. She says, to catch a killer; that’s his job. He still promises make it up, but in the meantime, talk to him. What happened after he left the Nurses Ball?

Franco and Elizabeth go into Jordan’s room. Outside in the hallway, Lulu writes. She dove into this story about a notorious criminal on the anniversary of his crimes, but the focus of the story changed. It transformed from the account of a killer to that of his survivors, and those who brought him to justice. Heroes, likely or not. Jordan tells Franco that for his bravery and sacrifice, the PCPD recognizes him. She asks him to accept the award from a grateful city. Lulu writes, the story does not have a tidy or happy ending. Not for its heroes or villains. There’s still one chapter left to write. We see Ryan lying in bed, probably calculating his next move.

Nina tells Jax that she’s an idiot, but he finds that hard to believe. She says, Josslyn is his daughter; she’s lovely. He says, it’s been hard being away so long. He and Carly were married. The divorce was rather acrimonious. He and Carly are great; it’s Sonny who he can’t stand. After their latest altercation, Sonny had him deported. It’s a long story, but when the restrictions were lifted, he looked for business opportunities there. ELQ and Aurora were at the top of his list, but Michael is running ELQ now, and doing a great job. Aurora was a better fit. That’s why he’s there.

Curtis tells Jordan, enough for one day. She says she can do the rest of her work lying down. He asks if she can’t take it easy. She needs her strength for transplant time. She asks him to hand her the phone, and he says, for what? She wants to make a quick call to the station. He thinks she should conserve her energy, and she says she’ll let him dial. He says, unbelievable.

Franco tells Elizabeth this time he’s getting something from the police with his name on it because he did something good. Elizabeth says, heroic. Lulu says, a mayoral commendation isn’t out of the question. Her mother is grateful to him; her too. If he hadn’t put his life on the line and taken the risk, Ryan might never have been discovered. She thanks him. He says he’ll catch up with them. He has something to take care of.

Chase asks Willow to clarify. Shiloh suspects Wiley is his child? She says he’s convinced the baby is out there, but has no idea it’s Wiley. Not yet, but he’s going to put it together because Nina can’t mind her own business. He suggests they focus on solutions. She says, if Shiloh gets near that boy… but Chase says she’s got room to breathe. There’s not much Shiloh can do from a hospital bed.

Alexis asks Lucas if the birth mother is pressing for a relationship with Wiley. He says, she intends to follow through on the terms, and Alexis says, legally, she has to. He says he’s worried about the father. Alexis says she thought he was out of the picture, and the birth mother couldn’t even contact him. Lucas says, that’s not the whole truth. The birth mother didn’t tell him. Alexis says, so she never afforded the birth father the opportunity to exercise his parental rights. Lucas asks, how bad is it? She asks how much the birth father knows, and Lucas says he knows the child might exist, but not who or where he is. However, he’s determined to find out.

Sam asks Julian why Lucas didn’t come to her directly. Julian says Lucas doesn’t know he’s there. Wiley is in danger of being taken away. Sam thought Lucas and Brad were the legal parents. He says, for now, but there’s an issue that could throw the adoption into question. She asks if the birth mother changed her mind, and he says, the problem is the birth father. She thought that was a non-issue, and he says, the less she knows, the better. She tells him, that’s not how she operates, but he suggests she make an exception. If something goes wrong, she has plausible deniability. It’s that serious. She asks what he has in mind.

Nina says, so Jax is in the same city as a man he despises; a man who kept him from his daughter. To give Sonny credit, Jax says Josslyn was allowed visit, but he does hate Sonny. There were a lot of problems, and playing games, but he realized he had to focus on himself and his daughter. With respect to Carly, he has to say that Sonny has been a decent stepfather. Nina says, he doesn’t like Sonny, but they love him. He says, exactly right. That’s why he needed a workaround, and Aurora was it. He thinks he can make money running it, and he’ll be close to Josslyn. He hopes Sonny doesn’t drive him crazy. Nina thinks it’s mature, sucking up for the greater good, him included. He says, Josslyn is worth it. Nina says she feels the same way. She has two daughters, and there’s nothing she wouldn’t do for them. He says they’re lucky to have her; as is Crimson. She says it seems like he doesn’t know the first thing running a magazine. Let her run it autonomously. No muss; no fuss. He says, no deal.

Nina tells Jax that she’s a creative person. He says he can see that, and she says she needs to trust her instincts and vision, but sometimes – not often – she does a shoot, spends money on it, and it doesn’t work out, so they don’t publish it. She learns from that, and figures out what works and what doesn’t. She doesn’t want to be told that since she dropped cash on a shoot, and have to use it. Because, no. She doesn’t need to be told not to spend money on fresh flowers. They help her to be creative and productive. Jax says, the vase can stay. She says she doesn’t work on Friday, except before a deadline, and then, only until noon. He hears her, and Friday will never be an issue. He says she knows the emotional reason he bought into the company, but there are also financial ones. The assets haven’t even been maximized, especially in the print department. I’m guessing because Drew has been kind of busy with other things since he bought Aurora. He says he’s done his research, and the magazine used to make 100% profit. Now they make 40%, which is still good, but if they adjust expectation, it will be better. Nina likes his outlook. He says he’s looking for the best long term bet, and thinks it’s Crimson. In a world where magazines are dropping like flies, they’ve expanded, thanks to her. But as good as she is – and she’s very good – she can always be better.

Willow wonders what happens when Shiloh gets suspicious, and calls the police, but Chase says Shiloh’s not talking. She doesn’t think it would be shocking that someone went after him, and that’s Chase’s guess too. She says, too bad they didn’t finish the job. Chase says Shiloh doesn’t want his image tarnished, and it’s easier to help her bend the law if he’s not worried she’ll break it. She says she’d do anything to keep her son from that monster, but Chase promises he won’t let it come to that. He has to follow up on something, but says he’ll see her soon. I’m surprised Nina isn’t in the hallway, having discovered a way to clone herself for just this purpose.

Finn goes to Jordan’s room. She says, the groom-to-be. Curtis says he heard Finn and Anna made it official, and congratulates him. Jordan says she heard it was on stage at the Nurses Ball. She knows how that feels from experience; nothing can top it. He says being engaged isn’t the only news he has. Curtis says, please say Ryan is awake and they can have his kidney.

Ryan sees Franco looming over him.

Nina asks Jax how she can be better with the budget she’s allocated. He says they can work smarter. Make the product more attractive. He’s thinking exotic locations; big parties with A-list guests. Make it a prestige magazine. Nina says, sounds good. He says they live in a world that’s inundated with content. He knows they’re chic and cutting edge, but not pretentious, and won’t take a chance on ruining that. He’s not going to sacrifice quality to save a few bucks. He wants to make the brand more recognizable, but to do it, he has to cut production costs by a third. They can take that money, and put it into promotion. Nina doesn’t think that’s possible, and he says, what if he helped? She says this is probably a bad thing to say to her boss, but she doesn’t know how to read a balance sheet. He asks if she went to business school, and she says, no. He asks if she wants to learn, and she says she does. He says, let’s get started now.

Julian tells Sam that he wants to eliminate the paper trail. If the birth father can identify his son, he can’t get to him. They need to destroy the records. Sam says, it’s not that simple. One problem is that, although the documents are closed on their end, Diane must have a copy. Julian says he’ll handle Diane.  Sam says maybe he should use one of his old associates, but he doesn’t want to contact them anymore. She’s Wiley’s aunt and godmother, and she knows what it’s like to have a child ripped away. She doesn’t want that to happen to her brother.

Alexis tells Lucas, if the birth father goes down that avenue, and files for custody, he’ll have to clear a score of legal hurdles to trace the baby to them. Julian says he’s the leader of a cult; DOD. She asks if he’s talking about Shiloh, and he says he is. What do they do? Alexis says, fight like hell. Keep the records sealed, and have a contingency plan in case they lose. She tells Lucas, go home to his son and husband. There’s nothing he can do right now. She’ll take care of it. She’s got this. He leaves.

A guy brings fancy water in a champagne bucket to Alexis’s table. She says she didn’t order it, but he says a gentleman has requested she wait. He wants to see her, and wanted it to be a surprise.

Lulu and Elizabeth go to Willow’s classroom. She says they just missed the kids, who went to the library (or something), but Elizabeth says they’re not there to sit in on the class. Lulu says they want to make sure Willow has a class there next year. Lulu adds, and for years to come.

Finn tells Curtis and Jordan that the operation was a success. Ryan will live to see his day in court, and with full kidney functions. There’s nothing to preclude him from donating. Curtis says, he’s viable match. When can they do the surgery?  Finn says they can’t do it without Ryan’s consent.

Ryan says he could have sworn he slipped the blade in for a fatal wound, and Franco says he has to give it up for the GH staff. They know what they’re doing. He asks if Ryan would like some art therapy. It could be fun. Ryan laughs, then has a coughing fit.  Franco tells him not to die until he gets to mark the occasion. Today would have been Kiki’s birthday. Ryan can’t understand the fascination with her. He found her boring, insipid, and dull; nothing like her mother. Franco suggests the talk about Ava. She exposed him for the idiot that he is. How does that feel? He walked into her trap; that must have hurt. How does he feel being exposed as predictable? She knew how to make him come running, and that’s exactly what he did. Now what? He’s got the rest of life in prison. No Ava, no girl, nothing. Just him and the sad path he’s laid for himself. That’s his reality now. Franco loves that.

Jax pulls up the Aurora balance sheet to show Nina. He explains which color is how much was spent, and how much is spent per month. He shows her the profits, and she says, they’re good. He says, imagine if they move this $250K there. He can do it without her ever running a shoot she doesn’t believe in. Think ahead. Know what they have to shoot before they invest. He thinks it’s doable. Nina does too, but has one problem. She’s getting married, and this is going to be a lot of work. He asks when it’s supposed to happen, and she says, soon. He tells her to do what she can, and he’ll pick up the slack, immediately becoming everyone’s dream boss. Valentin hopes he’s not interrupting. Nina asks if his ears were burning; they were talking about him. Jax says he heard they were getting married. He looks forward to working with Nina. It’ll be fun. Valentin asks what he missed, and Nina says, a lot. Jasper Jax is her new boss.

Elizabeth tells Willow, it’s a petition demanding that the school keep their best teacher. Lulu says, every parent and student signed it, with the exception of Nina and Valentin. Everyone else leapt at the chance to show their support. Elizabeth says she made a positive impact on her students’ lives, and the principal needs to know she fits the school to a T. Willow wonders if it’s possible.

Sam asks Julian how she’s supposed to make an informed decision without information. How does she know he’s not just jumping the gun? He asks if she thinks he’d be there if he had a choice? She’s not saying no. Not yet. Alexis can see if Brad and Lucas have a chance in court. Maybe it isn’t as bad as Julian thinks. Julian says, God forbid the birth father should get custody, and Wiley becomes a cult follower.

Finn tells Curtis that they all want it to be a slam dunk, and Curtis wants make sure it is. In the hallway, Chase asks Finn if Jordan is up for a visit, but Finn thinks they should let her rest. Chase wants to throw a party for Finn and Anna. Finn asks who Chase wants to invite, and Chase says their dad and his mom. He asks if Finn doesn’t want him to do it, and Finn tells Chase he doesn’t want to put anything on the calendar just yet. Anna will want to be included.

Ryan says Franco is putting on a happily married act with his vapid wife and kids. Please. Franco envies him. The most fun Franco has had in years is when he took credit for Ryan’s work. He wouldn’t have been so convincing if he didn’t love it. Franco says, you know what he loves? Ryan lost at his own game. He loves that. That’s what’s true. Enjoy prison. He says, it couldn’t happen to a nicer guy, and leaves.

Jax approaches Alexis’s table. She says she knew it, and asks what they’re drinking to. He says his acquisition of half of Aurora Media; the print division. It needs a lot of work, but he’s excited about Crimson. She says, Crimson means Nina. Nina means Valentin. And Valentin means trouble with a capital T. They clink glasses.

Elizabeth asks Willow if they can take the petition to the principal. Willow says, yes, but she doesn’t think it will do any good. She’ll treasure it forever, though. Elizabeth says they’re not giving up. There are also other jobs, and she’ll have great references. Willow says she’ll take any job; lawyers are expensive. Lulu asks if she’s suing the school, or Nina. Willow says she’s not suing anyone. She’s preparing to be sued.

Sam asks Julian if he’s talking about DOD, and he asks if she’s heard of it. She says, Wiley’s father is Shiloh? She’s in. However bad Julian thinks he is, he’s worse. She’ll do whatever it takes to keep Wiley away from him.

Alexis tells Jax, all she’s saying is, watch out for Valentin. He says he’d never buy something without doing his homework. Valentin has a good job running Cassadine Industries. Alexis says, he’s not a good human. Look at what happened to Nikolas. Jax says that’s not a good subject. Alexis says, point taken, and he says, so is hers. She says Valentin is in an entirely different league. He’s as dangerous as Jax’s brother. She wants him to promise to only deal with Valentin when required, and he says he can handle it. He instructs her on squeezing lemons into her water, and she asks if it’s a sober version of cutting loose. He tells her, just put the lemon in. She says she missed him, and he says she doesn’t have to anymore. He’s there to stay.

Nina tells Valentin that she’s energized; she has so many ideas. She knows what a deficit column is. Jax showed her. Valentin says if she has business questions, she can come to him. She says Jax is a team player. He’s so invested in the magazine, which is good for Crimson, and good for her. Valentin says what’s good for her is good for him. He’s glad to see her happy. She says she’s so excited. You’d think someone new would be a bad thing, but it’s not. It’s fantastic. She thinks it’s going to be incredible. No; she knows it.

Curtis tells Finn that he wants to put Ryan behind bars, but he has a kidney to donate first.

Curtis goes into Ryan’s room. Ryan says he’s a popular man today. He asks how the wife is, and Curtis says, still kicking. He saved Ryan’s life, now Ryan is going to do the same for Jordan. He’s going to consent to donate a kidney. Ryan says that’s major surgery. He’ll have to mull it over. Curtis says, the answer is yes.

Robert tells Anna that she’s the love of his life, Scotty tells Margaux that he’s doing her a favor, and Ryan asks Curtis what his kidney is worth.

👗 And Then There Were Four…

It was time for the final four to be chosen on Project Runway. The challenge was for the designers to create their biggest and best look, as well as designing an experimental art installation. Cardi B and Bergdorf Goodman’s Linda Fargo were the guest judges. Garo told Tessa, a word to the wise, don’t put anything raw on the runway. Tessa’s heart was still pounding from last week, but she knew there was a way to finish a hem while still making it look unfinished. Which already sounded like too much work to me. Christian reminded them that this was the last challenge before the finale. As well as getting a spread in Elle magazine and a mentorship with a guy whose name I don’t remember, but seemed really cool, the winner would get $250K, plus $50K to put up a studio. My first thought was where were they going to put up a studio, even with combining those two figures? NYC and LA are a little expensive. The designers were instructed to create their version of an experiential fashion show, and bring forth who they are as designers. They were to go bigger and bolder. There would be over 100 industry insiders at the show to determine the final four. Those four would go on to create an entire collection, and present it to the fashion industry. When the models were chosen, last week’s winner Sebastian chose first, and chose who would go next, and so on. Tessa was picked last. She said it was like getting picked last for kickball, and I told her she was getting picked last because she’s an a-hole.

With set designers/builders to assist them, the contestants worked out their rooms. Hester was going for a rococo forest idea; Bishme stayed with his roots, and Baltimore blooming; and Garo wanted a futuristic theme, with robotic hands dressing the model, and the guests having the ability to interact with the space. Tessa was also sticking with her roots, choosing a ceramics/art studio scene, since she was best inspired by her upbringing, and the judges thought she needed passion. Sebastian wanted a palace in Greece. He said he wasn’t a good storyteller, and was running out of ideas and energy. I thought, hmm… you might not belong here. The designers got a $500 budget, and I wondered if that included the sets, but they never said.

Christian questioned the designers as they got busy shopping for supplies. Hester told him that she was going with a rococo bondage picnic theme, and we all wondered what that was. I think Hester did too. Tessa was focusing on the philosophy of wabi-sabi (I know, too close to wasabi, right?) which translates loosely to beauty in imperfection. This explained her love of unfinished hems. The designers had a meeting with the mentor guy, who said his company did a diagnostic of what works for their brand and doesn’t, and said, the glamour of fashion isn’t glamorous. Good to know. Christian added that basically, nothing lasts forever. He told them that they could invent anything they wanted. There was no client and no criteria, and they could create their own fantasy room. I found it interesting that Christian’s comments and questions to the designers as they were working, reminded me of acting class critiques. Sebastian didn’t like his dress, saying it wasn’t what he had in mind, even though it was absolutely amazing, abundant with that sculpture-like ribbon candy pleating. Bishme wanted a more abstract Baltimore for his room, and made the woman helping him do it over.

In a dramatic moment, Sebastian decided he wanted to go home. He didn’t want to do nothing [sic]. He was giving up. Garo wanted to smack him, Hester wanted to join him, and he went and sat on an orange couch to chill. After a bottled water, he decided to keep fighting for his dreams and goals. He was probably just dehydrated. Christian got more nervous than anyone, except for Sebastian.

Hester’s room had her model serving tea from inside of a picture frame in a forest. It was pretty cool. No one seemed that keen on her outfit, which was all kinds of red/black/white plaids, with chains and such, but I loved the skirt and would definitely wear it. Not so much Cardi B when asked about the top, which had too many O-rings. Tessa’s model sat at a potter’s wheel, surrounded by ceramics. Her color palette of earth tones was lovely, and although the judges weren’t thrilled with the dress, they seemed to finally get where she was coming from. Garo’s intergalactic changing station got raves, especially with the real arms helping the model. His dress had layers that could be stripped, and featured his signature corset. It was definitely impressive. Sebastian’s dress was well received, but not his room. The Grecian palace idea fell flat, and nearly everyone said it felt oppositional to the gown. Cardi B – who I have to mention had the most beautiful gold, silver, and black hair – said the dress was her favorite, and she could forgive the room because of the dress. Bishme’s redesign of his room paid off, and his rose gold blossom of a gown bloomed in the middle. The judges did find some technical flaws in their close-up examination of the dress though.

The judges took a look at the entire season of each designer’s clothes, and there was a little trip down Memory Lane. Garo won the challenge, and promised they wouldn’t be disappointed. I’ve liked his stuff, and I’m all for the corset look. Makes you look thinner. Sebastian was the next to stay in, and he cried. Tessa always looks like she wants to cry, so it’s hard to figure out what she’s feeling. Bishme was in, and was paralyzed. Literally. He was having a hard time moving. Tessa was finally out, after I gave up rooting for that. Brandon told her not to look at it as a loss, and said she would do vital and important work. Um… we’re not talking about curing cancer. She said she was disappointed, but felt like she’d grown, and thanked them for the opportunity. She whined a little backstage, while she sulked on the orange couch while waiting for the others. The final four were told that they would be creating ten looks to be presented to the fashion world in NYC, using a $10K budget. Christian told them to keep working hard, and gave them two bottles of champagne. There was a group hug. Next time, Bishme either gets bad news or has a breakdown. I can’t tell.

⭐ Best quote this season: I have bags under my eyes and they’re not Chanel or Gucci. – Bishme

📠 Not New News…

Pretty old as a matter-of-fact, but I was interested in how Project Runway had changed, since it didn’t really capture my attention during previous attempts to watch it.

🚤 Also on Bravo tonight was Captain Sandy’s Yachtrageous Moments, a retrospective of Below Deck Mediterranean, and a reminder it’s coming back. It’s new season starts Monday, June 3rd, at 9 pm. This season, the captain and her crew will be going to France. I like the show because this is the closest I’ll ever get to that blue water – hell, it’s the closest I’ll get to any real vacation – but my heart still belongs to the original Below Deck and the Stud of the Sea. I just like the cast better on that one. And Kate’s my girl.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Sam says, it’s finally happening. Outside in the car, Jason listens in. Sonny gets in the car, and asks what he missed. Jason says they just got started. Shiloh says he’s looking forward to completing the transition. He’s starting to sound like a mad scientist.

Brad tells Lucas, calm down. Maybe Willow had Shiloh’s child, but why does he think that baby is their son? Lucas says if Brad adds up what he just laid out, it’s the only logical conclusion. The child Willow had is Wiley.

TJ tells Jordan dialysis knocked her out, but she’s on the mend now. He asks how she’s feeling, and she asks where Curtis is. TJ says he’s sure they’ll hear from him soon.

Mac says Doc’s pulse is strong, and his breathing is steady. Michael calls the police, saying a man was attacked, but they don’t know the extent of his injuries. Laura runs in. and asks, what happened? Michael leaves to find Chase, and Lucy explains they were breaking down the stage. When the curtains opened, Doc was hanging there. Who would do this to him?

Ryan looks in on Ava. She downs her drink, and waits, checking that the gun in her pocket is ready. She asks if it’s Doc. She turns around, and smiles.

Sam tells Shiloh, look how tense he is. Not that she blames him after… He says, finding out the person he trusted the most had his child. She says he might be upset, even outraged, but she doesn’t think outrage is his thing. He says it’s not bad enough Willow did that, but it’s all the things they could have accomplished and done. In the car, Sonny says, Willow. That’s Michael’s friend. No wonder she was so terrified of Shiloh. Jason says, one thing at a time. Sam suggests Shiloh get back on track. Don’t let Willow ruin this night for them.

Brad thinks he and Lucas should go home and talk it through. Lucas says, then he must think there’s something to talk through. Brad insists Wiley isn’t Shiloh and Willow’s child, but Lucas tells him to open his eyes. How many times have they bumped into Willow? Brad acts like it’s just coincidence, but Lucas says Willow was in a panic when Brad wanted to bring Wiley to DOD. Brad says, even if all that is true, Wiley still belongs to them legally. Lucas says if Willow kept the baby from his biological father, they could lose their son.

Doc comes to. He sees Laura, and says, thank God. He was afraid something had happened to her. Mac says Ryan was there. They found Doc literally hanging from the rafters. Lucy tells him, rest, and wait for the paramedics.

Chase tells Curtis that the phone call was garbled. Take him through it again. Curtis says, he and Laura tracked down the woman who hired the kid to steal drugs for Ryan. They believed she was harboring Ryan, but when they went back, she was dead; stabbed in the chest. He woke up with a massive headache, and they were tied to chairs in a room filled with gas. Chase says good thing they made it out, and Curtis says, just barely. They had just gotten out when the whole thing exploded.

Michael offers to take Willow home, but she says she’s fine. He tells her, it’s okay if she’s not. Shiloh is a threat that will have to be dealt with, but she’s not in this alone. She says she’s beginning to realize that.

Doc says Ryan must have been waiting for him. He’d ordered roses for Ava to give her after her performance. Where is Ava?

Ava says, thank God he’s safe. She heard Ryan was back, and was afraid she’d lost him too. He asks if she’d be lost without him, and she says, of course (🍷); he knows that. She asks, what’s the matter? He produces a knife, and says she has no idea how much he’s missed her. She says, Ryan. He hopes she’s not too disappointed. She asks if he has any idea how much she’s prayed for this moment. And he knows her… Ryan says, she doesn’t pray. She says, desperate times. She moves closer to him, saying she can’t believe he’s there. He tells her, not so fast, my darling.

She laughs, and Ryan asks if something is funny. She says she just missed him so much. Ever since that awful night. She asks him, please, put the knife down, and he says, why would he do that? She says she wants him to hold her; put his arms around her, and kiss her. He says, the way his brother did? He saw him kissing Ava all over social media. It made him sick. Did she find comfort in his weakness? How could she be happy with someone who can never, ever challenge her? She says she does believe he’s jealous. He asks if he’s what she wants, and she says it’s pretty obvious what she wants. Look past his own jealousy and into her eyes, and see it. Doc was a poor substitute for the man she loved, but Doc was still the next best thing to him.

Sam tells Shiloh, take back what’s yours. Don’t let anything ruin this night. This is for them to be there tonight. He says she’s right. It’s time for her induction into the Trust. Jason tells Sonny, Sam is playing this perfectly, but this is where it gets complicated. If Shiloh follows his pattern, he’s going to drug her. Shiloh tells Sam that he has some tea to help relax, and ease the discomfort while she gets the tattoo. She says she doesn’t need it. She wants to experience everything. He knows how brave she is, but this insures a peaceful transition. She says she doesn’t need it, but he tells her, it’s for the best. Trust him. She takes it, and Jason says, she’s going to drink it.

A nurse asks how Jordan’s pain level is, and Jordan says, manageable. The nurse tells her to hit the button if she needs another dose. TJ says, interesting. Curtis just texted him from Michael’s phone. He’s back in Port Charles. He’ll be there asap, and tell his mom that he hearts her. Jordan wonders why he didn’t just show up, and TJ says he probably thought she was sleeping. She asks if Curtis said anything about Ryan, and TJ says he read her the whole text. She needs to know if Ryan is still alive. She says she wants to call Chase, but TJ is sure Curtis will answer all her questions when he gets there.

The EMT says Doc looks good, but recommends he get checked out and get a CT scan. Doc says he’s not the one in trouble. Ava is. Chase says she told them she had a safe place to go, but Laura says they need to know where she is. Felicia says, maybe she’ll kill him. A girl can dream.

Chase apologizes for ditching Willow, but she says she’s all right. He says something is bothering her, but she says, it can wait. He says, tell him, and she says, Shiloh knows about the baby. He asks how? and says she was on the phone with her lawyer, and Nina overheard. They got in a fight, and Nina made a dig about her not keeping her child. Shiloh heard her. Michael says they’ll make sure Shiloh goes nowhere near the baby. Chase tells Michael to make sure Willow gets home safe. She says she can get home herself, but Chase says she’s told them over and over how dangerous Shiloh is. Now he knows about the baby. Michael is going to escort her home. She says, it’s generous, but Chase says, it’s selfish. He wants her safe. She guesses she’s out-voted, and he tells her, be careful.

Doc says he’s fine, but Laura says sometimes symptoms don’t show up for hours. He says he was hanging from the rafters? Mac says his brother is nothing if not consistent. Lucy asks why no one is surprised Ryan is still alive and tried to kill Doc. Curtis says he just got a text that Jordan is awake. Laura tells him to go, and thanks him for saving her life. He says he’s got her, calling her partner.

Margaux walks in, and says she heard Ryan was alive. She asks what they’re doing to catch him. Laura says, damage control? A woman is dead because of her.

Brad tells Lucas that they should call Alexis, and ask what their options are. Lucas asks if Brad has any idea how bad is screwed up. If Wiley is Willow’s son, and didn’t let the biological father know, they might lose him. Brad tells him to stop. Michael asks Willow if her baby is his godson, and she says, yes. He says, how long…? She tells him, obviously, she knew Brad and Lucas were going to adopt him, but it was only after they knew each other, and Michael told her the name that she realized. He asks why she didn’t say anything, and then says, Shiloh. She says, Shiloh. Brad says, it doesn’t make sense. Why keep Shiloh, of all people, in the dark? He’s a great dad. Willow says, he’s a monster. Brad says Shiloh and DOD have helped him, and Willow says, DOD is a cult. Lucas says she gave him up so Shiloh wouldn’t know, and she says, yes. Now he knows.

Laura says Margaux called off the search, and at least one woman is dead. Margaux says she made an educated decision. Laura asks if that’s what she calls it, and Margaux says the Canadian authorities presumed he was dead. Laura says, it’s more like an arrogant assumption. Mac says Margaux has seen the records. She knows how many times Ryan has been believed dead and somehow survived. Laura says she and Curtis nearly died in an explosion because she called off the search. Ignoring this, Margaux says she’ll need statements from everyone. Chase joins them and says, nothing has turned up, but two of Ryan’s three victims are accounted for; Carly and Lulu, but they have no location on Ava. Mac says he warned them this was dangerous. It worked, and now he’s back. It’s time to bring the authorities up to speed. Margaux asks what the plan was. Laura says Ava and Doc pretended to have a relationship to make Ryan jealous, and bring him out in the open. Lucy says she knew Doc would never fall for that sleazy tramp.

Ryan says he has to hand it to Ava. If she’s lying, she’s putting on one helluva show. She’s glad he finds her heartbreak entertaining. He says there’s one thing she can do to convince him of her sincerity. Tell him about Kiki. Ava says, what about her? Ryan says he killed Kiki. As his brother would say, how does that make her feel?

Curtis sees Jordan, and asks TJ how she’s doing. TJ says, her infection is better, but her stress level is high. Curtis says that’s on him, and TJ agrees she was very worried about him. Jordan wakes up, and says, Ryan Chamberlain. Did Curtis catch him? He says they’ll talk later, but she says tell her now. Curtis says they found him. He got away, but don’t worry. Chase has the whole force out looking, and he’s there now. The machine she’s hooked to beeps wildly machine beeps. She says, Ryan Chamberlain is in Port Charles, and passes out.

Shiloh says, usually Harmony does the tattoo. She likes to make them large and ostentations, but he thinks a more intimate emblem would be appropriate. Sam mumbles something, and he says she’s his proudest student. I’m guessing he means the one he’s most proud of, but for someone who wrote a book, he don’t know good English. He says it’s only right that only his hands should touch her. Sam says, no, and he starts to turn her over. She says the tea was stronger than she thought. Jason says, it’s time. He and Sonny get out of the car.

Ryan says Ava must hate him. He killed her; the one Ava loved most in the world. Then he took her to bed to use her as an alibi. Ava says she loved Kiki, and grieved for her. She always will, but he had no way of knowing. She talked about how much pain and betrayal Kiki caused her. Ryan says he murdered her, but Ava says she knows why he did. He did what he thought needed to be done to stop her pain; the pain Kiki caused. The truth is, as much as she wanted to love her daughter, all that was left between them was pain. He didn’t take away what she loved the most. He freed her. What she really loves the most is him. She hopes he feels the same. He says no one will love her as much as he does. She doesn’t think they will.

Margaux says Lucy wasn’t part of the plan, and Lucy says apparently she wasn’t privy to their conspiracy. Margaux asks her to leave, since she’s not directly involved, and has no relevant information. Lucy says she has one thing to say passing. Margaux botched this horribly. Ta. Margaux tells them to give her details, and Felicia says it was her idea. She knows firsthand what it’s like to be the center of Ryan’s obsession, and knew he wouldn’t stay away from Ava. Doc says since the search was called off, they had to go on the offensive. Margaux says, so they took the law into their own hands. Laura says, someone had to, and it’s not a crime to lie about your relationship. Doc says they knew he’d come back to find her, and Margaux says, especially since she was with him. Felicia says they tried to make the relationship as public as possible. Mac says they did have ground rules. If he appeared, they’d call the police. Margaux takes Chase aside, and says they have a mess with a rising body count. If they can bring Ryan in, excellent, but if they think they’re in danger, they have the authority to use full legal force. Chase isn’t sure they’re allowed to do that, but she says she’s prepared to take responsibility. Just get the job done.

Curtis wonders why the hell he told Jordan about Ryan. TJ says he knows how stubborn she is. She makes her own choices. Curtis says, she’s about as strong and stubborn as they come. That’s why she’ll get through this. Monica blows past, saying she’ll be back with an update. She goes into Jordan’s room, and Curtis wonders why the Chief of Cardiology is there.

Jason and Sonny walk into the DOD house. Two dudes meet them, and one looks at Jason, and says, Shiloh doesn’t want him there. Jason drop kicks him across the room. Sonny tells Jason to go. He’s got this. Sonny and the other dude struggle for a millisecond, before Sonny slams his head into a table. Nice little fight scene.

Lucas asks Willow how they’re going to protect Wiley when his biological father didn’t give up his rights. She says he was never supposed to find out. She’d started a new life, and didn’t know there was a chapter of DOD there. When she found out, she made plans to leave. Michael asks why she didn’t come to him. She says she didn’t think he could help. Brad says, because Shiloh is an unstoppable monster, obviously not believing it. She asks if he’s ever met someone who could get around the law, and literally gets away with murder? Michael says he has. (Yeah, Sonny.) If she’d left when she wanted, he’d have never known. Lucas asks what stopped her? and she says, Brad did. He got involved with DOD, and wanted to take Wiley there to Shiloh. Brad says he didn’t know, but insists he wouldn’t have let Shiloh do what she thinks he would. From what he’s seen, he’s having a hard time wrapping his head around Shiloh being evil. What has he done? Michael says, blackmail, coercion, drugging people, and sexual assault for starters.

Jason goes into the attic room, but no one is there. He sees the teacup, with some tea still in it. Sonny follows him, and asks where they went. Jason says he thinks he knows. Sonny tells him, go. He’ll stay there and get answers from one of Trust members.

Monica comes out, and says Jordan is stable. They can see her when the nurse finishes, but she needs to talk to them. She’s stable, but they don’t know for how long. Cardiac arrest isn’t uncommon after surgery, especially if there’s an underlying heart condition. Curtis says Jordan is in excellent health; she takes amazing care of herself. Monica says, she has an underlying arrhythmia. It’s common, and not life-threatening. TJ says, except for patients on dialysis. Monica says she won’t be able to continue on dialysis much longer, but she’s at the top of the transplant list, and they’ll send out another alert. Curtis says Doc tested positive, and agreed to the operation, but Monica says, sorry. He has a separate medical condition that rules him out. At the moment, they have no viable donors.

On the phone, Chase says they need to send a unit to the gallery and Ava’s house. If there’s any indication as to where Ava might be, put out a bulletin out. Laura tells Doc he should get to the hospital. He says he will, if she does. At least he wasn’t in an explosion. He can’t reach Ava, and thinks this was Ava’s plan all along. Mac asks, what? and Doc says, justice for her daughter. Felicia says she deliberately lost contact with them so she could go after Ryan with no one to stop her.

Ryan says he saw Ava perform, and she was magnificent. She’s glad he enjoyed it. The whole time she imagined she was singing to him, but never dreamed he’d make his way to her so quickly. He asks if she believed he’d come back, and she says that’s why he jumped off the bridge and took her with him. He never intended for them to both die. They both lived, and she knew he’d find her. He says here he is, and she asks how he found her. He says he’ll always find her. She asks, is that a promise or a threat? and he says, why can’t it be both? She says he’s incorrigible. That night in Niagara Falls, he said they could travel the world, and leave Port Charles and everyone in it behind. Is that still possible? He says, is that what she wants? and she says, more than anything. He says she told him that she’d never leave Avery, but she says that’s how she felt at the time. Truthfully, as much as she loves Avery, inevitably, she’ll disappoint Ava, and the love will end. The only real, true, permanent love she has is right there. She never loved anyone more. In Niagara Falls, he said they make each other whole. He asks if she remembers she said he was her gift. She says, he was, and he can be that again. He says, that’s the question, isn’t it? Can he really give her what she needs?

Brad still isn’t convinced about Shiloh, and wants specifics. Michael says, what Shiloh did to his sister. He saw a threat. Willow tells them, Shiloh will do what he can to get his hands on Wiley. Michael says they have to work together to protect him.

Sonny looks through some stuff in the room. Margaux comes in. She says, funny. When he demanded they meet, she wondered if she’d find a body, and there’s two by the front door. He says, they’re just taking a nap. The place with an open door policy, didn’t welcome them with open arms. She says she has a serial killer on the loose. He says, the search was called off, and she asks what he wants. He says, her fearless leader. Where is Shiloh?

Shiloh carries Sam into the lighthouse. She asks where they are, and he says, a special place. The place where they’ll see their first new dawn together. It’s where she becomes his.

Curtis and TJ go back into Jordan’s room, where she’s on oxygen. TJ wonders how he’s going to tell his mom that she might just have a week. Curtis says he won’t have to. She ain’t gonna die. TJ says, not on his watch. Curtis says, Doc was a match. So is Ryan. I think they should just rip his kidney out of him with no anesthetic, and let Ava do it while they’re at it.

Chase advises everyone that if they see Ryan, let the police know. Keep away from him. Don’t follow him. Don’t engage. Understood?  Laura says the parameters have changed, and it’s escalated. They’re no longer trying to catch Ryan now. Mac says they’re going to use whatever action necessary to stop him.

TJ asks Curtis if he thinks that can save Jordan. Curtis says, maybe. They just need to get to him. Maybe his mom has a chance. Curtis kisses Jordan’s forehead, says he loves her, and jets.

Ryan says all he wanted was to fulfill Ava’s dreams. She says he is, just by being there. He found his way back, and they can be together, but… Ryan asks, what’s wrong? She says, it’s the knife. It’s disconcerting. He says, sorry. Force of habit, and I literally lol. Ryan can be funny. He puts it down, and says, now where were they? She says, right here, at the start of their happiness. Two halves of a whole. Ryan says, two sides of the same coin. She says they understand each other better than anyone else. She asks if he knows why, and he asks, why? She says, because neither one of them is afraid to watch the other die.

Tomorrow, Julian tells Brad not to say a word, Sonny asks Margaux where Shiloh is hiding, and Curtis tells Laura that Ryan might be Jordan’s only chance.

This week’s Project Runway challenge was to create dream dresses for civic workers who keep NYC moving. Instead of professional models, the designers dressed a postal worker, a sanitation worker, a teacher, a police officer, an EMT, and a ferry deckhand. The guest judge was Danielle Brooks from Orange is the New Black. The contestants met Christian at his atelier, The Curated, where he creates and sells his designs. We got the tour, and Hester said she wanted her own million story brownstone filled with amazingness. Me too. The message was to make high fashion more inclusive, and Christian said they would be dressing those underserved in the fashion community. We found out lunch breaks are to practice your runway walk.

It was take your designer to work day, and the designers got an idea of what the women were looking for. All of the contestants seemed to have a hard time custom making something, and not thinking solely of what they wanted. We heard not my thing a lot. Jamall, who had the deckhand, said she didn’t want to show her arms, and couldn’t seem to grasp the concept of a sheer sleeve. Garo suggested maybe it was just the upper arm she didn’t like, and no matter what the model’s size, he liked to cover that, saying, who wants the armpits? I know I don’t. Tessa made an executive decision to design pants until Christian reminded her the challenge was for a dream dress, and even if the judges loved it, she’d be going home, so she rethought that. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Hester felt she gave the client too much of what she’d asked for, and not enough of what she, as a designer, thought the client needed. Christian told Tessa that Brandon was going to get on her for the raw hem on some chiffon, but I like a raw hem. I love distressed materials in general, so it goes with the territory. When I saw an ad that said the show was brought to us by Maybelline, I said, yeah, I noticed. The product placement is quite heavy.

I’m not going through every single dress, since I’m not good at dress description, and they weren’t that exciting IMO. Let me put it this way, none of them were my dream dress. I did think the two that vied for winner were lovely though. Garo dressed his postal worker in a blue bodycon dress, with a sparkly off-the-shoulder neckline, and a detachable cape. Sebastian was my favorite, with a sanitation worker who had Disney princess in mind for a dress she wants to wear to her future engagement party. She walked the runway like a pro, and we found out she had been Miss Staten Island. Bishme got kudos too, for his teacher’s blue peplum number. I’m not a fan of a peplum waist, but had to admit, the way he draped this was unique and definitely wearable. On the bottom, was Hester (!), although she was the first to be safe. Her own prediction came through in that they thought the design lacked her personality. Also with a low score was Tessa, who blatantly refused to give her EMT client what she wanted. Brandon thought the dress was Tessa’s dream dress, not the client’s, especially since their favorite color was pink, and the dress was black. There had been pink accents, but Tessa removed them at the last minute, much to the client’s dismay. It was tough for the judges to decide between Tessa’s lack of passion and playing it safe, and Jamall’s incredibly uncomfortable deckhand. He’d made a strapless gown that lacked support and didn’t fit very well. It made me feel uncomfortable. Nina said, technically, it was falling apart. We flashed back to Jamall’s other curvy model flubs. The judges felt it was a mess of a dress that didn’t fit or flatter, and thought both of them had simple ideas that they couldn’t execute.

Sebastian was the big winner, with his pink off-the-shoulder retro confection. It had a flouncy, cocktail-length skirt, with a huge bow at the waist that reminded me of the ribbon candy you see at Christmastime. It got my vote too. The judges said he’d made his client feel special and beautiful. Danielle said it was important that the next generation be included in the fashion conversation, which I guessed was a fancy way of saying they need to make bigger sizes in designer clothing. She ended up having the wisest words of the night when it was a toss-up between Tessa and Jamall being out. She said, one of them talked more than she listened and the other was willing to listen.

While in my head, I kept repeating, Tessa out! it was not to be. I find her argumentative, and full of excuses. She even insisted that her client did want black, not pink. She pouts a lot as well, which isn’t an attractive quality. The worst part of all was that they fooled me by saying, Tessa… you are in. Wtf? Why? Why did they do that? usually it’s, [insert loser here] … you are out. The judges were gentle though, saying, clearly Jamall was an artist with a vision, who had unlimited promise. I think it was really a construction thing. He seems to have difficulty with technical stuff. Christian said Jamal got the warmest goodbye there he’d ever seen. On his way out, Jamall said that he learned had more to do, but was more confident, and going out into the world a whole new bitch. Next time, the designers’ visions of an experiential fashion show. Cardi B will be a guest judge, and Sebastian threatens to quit.

🍸 On a side note, Tessa and Bishme were guest bartenders on Watch What Happens Live tonight. Which, I might add, is on a break until June 9th. I swear, Andy is always on a break.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Lulu looks at her Nurses Ball tickets in the café. Maxie arrives, and hopes she’s not scalping. Lulu tells Maxie not to blow her cover. Maxie asks if she remembers how gorgeous and talented Chase was last year, and tells her that he’s performing again. She’s glad she and Peter made back in time; there was no line at security. Private jets have ruined commercial flights for her. She says they were in Toronto, and how random that they ran into Lulu’s mother and Curtis. The hotel was booked, so she invited them to hang out with her and Peter. Lulu is surprised it didn’t derail the date. Maxie says, it’s like magic. Everything is falling into place

Peter gets tea for Anna from an outside vendor. She thanks him, and he thanks her for the advice. She asks, on what subject? and he says him and Maxie.

At the hospital, Finn taps his foot impatiently. Chase runs in, apologizing for taking so long. Finn says he’d like to take Chase up on his offer. Robert still hasn’t returned the ring. Chase says, he has nerve, and Finn says, even worse, he tried to palm off a substitute ring on him.

Yvonne says, it’s a stunning ring, and Sonny tells Mike, nice job. Mike says, it’s not as beautiful as the woman wearing it. Yvonne asks Sonny if he’s as good at flattery as his father. Sonny says, it’s a family trait. Mike knows the Nurses Ball is tonight, and thanks them for coming to their engagement party. He and Yvonne step away, and Michael asks Sonny if he’s sure this is okay. Sonny says, it’s not like they’re signing a marriage license. Michael asks if her husband knows. Sonny says, he graciously bowed out. Yvonne and Mike bring back flutes of sparkling cider. Sonny wants to make a toast, but Mike says, somebody is missing. Sonny says, Carly. Yvonne asks if she’s all right, and Sonny says, she’s on her way. She had something important to take care of.

Carly’s doctor says she hears Carly was having some pain. Carly says, nothing terrible. Epiphany examined her, she rested, went home, and it stopped. The doctor says, round ligament pain is normal. Carly says she heard her test results are in. Please tell her the baby is healthy.

On a bench in the park, Julian tells Alexis, what an ordeal. Alexis says, it was only one night in the holding cell. He thanks her, and she tells him, thank his sister. She thinks Ava is the one who got Doc to drop the assault charges. She suggests he keep his fists to himself. He says he probably should have called Kim, but Alexis says, she’s got enough on her plate.

Kim and Drew go through another box of Oscar’s things. Drew asks if she wants to take a break. They can get back to it when she feels ready. She thinks starting and stopping is worse. She opens a folder, and says, Oscar’s last English report. She reads a note from the teacher. Oscar is the type of student who reminds me why I became a teacher. He makes everyone in class want to be better, including me. Drew says Oscar made them better too.

Jason goes to Spinelli’s room at the MetroCourt. He thanks Spinelli for doing him this huge favor. Spinelli says they seem to be missing a co-conspirator. Sam knocks at the door. Spinelli asks if he dares hope that their urgent summons signals the end of Shiloh.

Lulu is glad things are falling into place. By things, she means Maxie and Peter, and by place, she means the hotel bed. Maxie says, it was worth the wait. She thinks back to her and Peter basking in the afterglow, and Maxie saying she has no complaints, and kissing him. Lulu says, finally. Cheers. They clink coffee cups. Maxie says the only thing she regrets, is that it took so long. The time she wasted wondering if it was too soon or taking too long. Lulu says it sounds like they found the perfect time to be together, and starts to cry.

Peter tells Anna, the plan was to whisk Maxie away to Paris, but they got rerouted to Toronto. Anna says she loves Toronto, and Peter says, after this, it’s hands down one of his favorite places. He thanks her for the necessary push to follow his heat. She’s glad he did, and he asks, what about her? How has she been? She says, good. She thinks there’s going to be a rather strange turn of events coming up. She believes she’s going to receive a marriage proposal. He says she doesn’t seem thrilled, and she says, it’s not Finn proposing.

Finn shows Chase the knock-off ring. He says, Robert thought he could pass it off. The one he bought looks nothing like it. Chase says, it’s not that bad, and Finn says he’s not much of a gemologist. He asks if Chase meant it about arresting Robert. Chase says, if he does, Anna will find out, and it won’t be a big jump to figure out he’s planning on proposing. Finn says it’s a risk he’s willing to take. Chase has an alternative that cuts Robert out completely. Finn says he’s listening. Chase says ask Anna to marry him without the ring.

Yvonne says, enough showing off the ring until Carly gets there. She and Mike go to the kitchen to get some food. Michael asks Sonny if the ring is a family heirloom, but Sonny says he’s never seen it. Michael says, it looks real, and Sonny says, it seems to be. He has no idea how Mike got ahold of it.

The doctor tells Carly, the baby is fine. There are no signs of any potential birth defects. She’s been taking great care of herself. Keep it up. Carly says she has a lot of help, and the doctor tells her to listen to her body. It knows what she needs. Carly says she’ll see the doctor for her appointment in two weeks, but the doctor says she’d like to see Carly sooner. Carly says she thought the doctor said everything was okay.

Kristina meets Molly in the park. They hug and Kristina thanks Molly for meeting her. She wasn’t sure Molly would come. Molly says, here she is, and Kristina says Molly has never given up on her. Molly is glad Kristina is finally taking her life back. Kristina says she’s a work in progress, and Molly says they all are. At least Kristina opened her eyes to what was being done to her at DOD. Kristina says if she could only get Sam to do the same. She’s going down the same path, and has no idea Shiloh is a predator.

Sam tells Spinelli they have an idea that will put Shiloh in prison, and keep their hands clean. Jason says when Shiloh initiates a new woman, he drugs her to lower her resistance, tattoos her, and sleeps with her. All felonies. Spinelli says they’ll need a witness testimony. Sam says that’s where he and Jason come in. They’re going to bug the house, and record her initiation.

Drew looks at a Mount Kilimanjaro poster. Kim says Oscar got it right after he read about the meteor showers you can see from there. Drew says, he never gave up on his dream. Kim finds his page from the yearbook, and says, he never turned it in. Drew asks what Oscar wrote, and she reads, don’t let troubles hold you back. Let them propel you. Drew says, it should be in the yearbook, and Kim says she’ll drop it off tomorrow. She looks at a stack of mail on the counter, and says she has no energy to go through it. Drew says he will, and she can tell him if it’s trash or not. The first thing is a water and power bill, and she jokes, saying, trash. He says there are cards, and she says she’ll deal with them later. The next thing is an offer from Ann Marie, a realtor asking to sell her apartment and help her relocate. He says, she’s not leaving town, right?

Alexis asks Julian what happened, and he says he punched Doc in the face for taking advantage of his sister. Ava sided with Doc, and he realized she’s a big girl. She needs to make her own mistakes. Alexis says she’s learning that with her daughter. He asks how Kristina is, and Alexis says, she seems good, and thanks him for hiring her back. Neil comes along, and Alexis introduces them. Juliann thanks him for helping Kristina. Julien goes to work, and Alexis tells Neil, what did she say? He tells her, be specific, and she says she keeps saying she’s put Julian in the rearview mirror, but you know what they say. Objects are closer then they appear.

Kristina says she hasn’t heard from Sam in a while, and she’s not texting back. It seems like Sam’s cutting Kristina out of her life. Molly says, sounds familiar. Kristina knows she did the same thing, but thought Sam would see through Shiloh faster. She has good instincts. Molly says she realized it was a cult, and knew Kristina would eventually. Kristina wishes she could save other women from DOD. Molly says, why doesn’t she? There are plenty of ways to get the story out. Kristina says, it’s complicated, but Molly says maybe not as much as she thinks.

Spinelli says, the initiation will be a sham, right? Sam isn’t ingesting anything or doing anything else, right? Sam says she’ll do what she has to. She knows it’s scary and disgusting, but they have to put Shiloh away once and for all, and they have a chance tonight. She invited him to the Nurses Ball, and while she and Shiloh are there, they’ll bug the house. After the Ball is over, she’ll tell him that she wants to finish her initiation. They’ll be monitoring everything, and if anything goes wrong, they’ll catch it. Spinelli doesn’t like it. Neither does Jason, but he says, Sam isn’t changing her mind.

Carly arrives at Turning Woods. Michael says Yvonne wouldn’t let them toast until she got there. Sonny asks how it went, and she says, good. He asks what the doctor had to say about the baby.

Maxie asks Lulu, what just happened? Lulu doesn’t know. She’s sorry. She thinks it’s because she misses Dante, but tells Maxie not to let the ugly cry fool her. She can be happy for Maxie, and still miss Dante. When he came home, she rushed to buy tickets to the Nurses Ball, but she forgot to return them when he left again. Maxie suggests she drop one off for one of the nurses. Lulu says she thinks she’ll give them both, but Maxie doesn’t think so. She and Peter would love to have her join them. No excuses. They always have a good time there. Going out and letting her hair down will do Lulu some good. Lulu doesn’t want to put a damper on anyone else’s evening. Maxie says she’s going. Period.

Peter says, Robert? Anna’s ex-husband? and Anna says, the one and only. He says he missed that whole thing. Doesn’t Robert know she and Finn are in love? Anna thinks Robert believes Finn is wrong for her, and if he proposes, she’ll come to her senses. He’ll make her realize Finn is not her future. She hopes she’s wrong, but Robert is what she had in the past. She wishes she could make that stubborn Aussie realize that she’s with Finn, and that’s it. Period (WOTD).

Finn doesn’t want to propose without ring, and he wants that ring, Chase knows she’s going to say yes, and suggests he tell her after she accepts. By the way, your ex stole the ring. They can have a good laugh, and Robert will be exposed. Finn says, as appealing as it sounds… Chase says he and Anna can shop for a ring together if Robert never gives it back. Finn says Chase doesn’t understand. It’s a rare Monacan sapphire. Monaco is where it all started. It tells their story, and it wouldn’t be right for him to propose without it.

Carly tells Sonny, there are no problems; the baby is just fine. Sonny says, so they’re all clear, and Carly says, almost. She hasn’t been tested for every possible condition, and the doctor wants to follow up to eliminate any other concerns. Mike and Yvonne come back with a load of cupcakes, and Carly says she’s sorry she’s late. She hugs them, and asks if she can give a toast. Yvonne says they’re out of sparkling cider, but they can toast with cupcakes. Carly tells them, raise your cupcake. She says when Sonny told her about the engagement, she was surprised. Mike has been like a father to her, and his happiness is important to her and her family. It’s been wonderful getting to know Yvonne, and hopes Mike makes Yvonne as happy as she makes him. She welcomes Yvonne to the family – may it keep growing and growing. They clink cupcakes.

Sam sees Alexis and Neil in the park. She doesn’t know what to do about Kristina. Kristina wants to meet and talk to her about her involvement in DOD, but she doesn’t want to jeopardize Kristina’s recovery. Neil asks if she’s engaged with Kristina yet. Sam says, no, and Neil thinks that’s best for now. Sam asks if ignoring her won’t make it worse. Alexis says she’ll have to lie. She can’t tell Kristina that she’s stringing Shiloh along to trick him out of Kristina’s Pledge. Neil asks what stringing Shiloh along entails.

Kim tells Drew the realtor read Oscar’s obituary, and thinks she can swoop in there and convince her to sell. What’s wrong with people? I ask that same question most days. Drew tells her not to think about that. Think about the people they talked to whose lives Oscar made better. Kim says if she was going to move, she wouldn’t give her business to Ann Marie. Drew says, so she’s not thinking of leaving? and Kim says, it’s too soon to make big decisions. She’s not going anywhere. Not now at least. He says, good. He likes having her back in his life. There’s a knock at the door, It’s Julian, who says he’s sorry he didn’t call; something came up. He sees Drew.

Kristina says, Molly has an idea how to stop Shiloh? Molly sees Peter, and says, a sign. Peter is on the phone, trying to get ahold of Finn. Molly introduces herself, and asks if he has a second; it won’t take long. She tells him that she just graduated from PCU, and majored in literature. She has a story that she thinks would be perfect for his publication; a story the world needs to hear that would interest his readers. There’s a cult, DOD, operating right there in Port Charles. He wants to hear more, and gives her his card. He tells her to send him her resume and story pitch. He leaves, and Kristina asks, what was that about?

Sam tells Neil and Alexis that they need evidence against Shiloh. If all goes well, they’ll get it tonight. Neil says, if it’s anything illegal, don’t tell them. She says, it’s nothing like that. The only one crossing any legal lines is Shiloh. Alexis asks what they’re planning to do.

Spinelli says he got the best surveillance equipment available. Jason says, concealing it should be easy. He’s seen the room, and it’s just all candles and pillows. Spinelli says, Shiloh is neither original nor subtle.  Jason says, the audio has to be perfect. They need to know exactly what’s going on.

Sam says she just wanted advice on dealing with Kristina. Neil says, if it’s over tonight, avoiding her won’t harm anything, but lying will. The less anyone knows the better. Sam says she might need Alexis’s help. She needs to go to the Nurses Ball and act like nothing’s wrong.

Spinelli wonders if Sam was always the target. Jason says, it makes sense. This started with the emails about Sam’s past. Spinelli says a follower took the blame, like a follower took the blame for an apostate’s overdose. Shiloh is always left free and clear.

Kim tells Julian they were just going through the stuff from Oscar’s school locker. He says, it can’t be easy. Kim says, in some ways, it’s excruciating, and in other ways, it’s a nice reminder of how many people cared. Julian sees the poster, and remembers Oscar talking about Kilimanjaro, and the meteor shower he wanted to see. Drew says, Oscar can still go. He can take Oscar’s ashes to Africa, and scatter them at the summit. Kim says, Oscar would love that, but he won’t be alone. She’ll go with him. Julian thinks it’s a beautiful idea. Drew does too, and he thinks Oscar would be disappointed if they didn’t do it together.

Lulu thanks Maxie for the pep talk. Maxie says Lulu would have major FOMO if she ditched the Nurses Ball. Lulu says she’s be following it on social media, which sounds more depressing than going without a date. She’s going to be texting Maxie for outfit advice, and Maxie says she’ll give her a Nina Garcia (Project Runway) critique. Lulu says, it’s not hard going out, but it’s hard coming home knowing Dante won’t be there.

Chase sees Anna while he’s out for a run. Anna asks if he has any idea what’s going on with his brother. He seems a bit off. Chase says he hasn’t said anything except that he’s over the moon about her. She asks if he actually said that, and Chase says, not those words, but it’s obvious he’d do anything to make her happy. Will he see her tonight? She says, of course (🍷). He says he’s performing, and she asks if he’s nervous. He sarcastically says, not at all, and she says he’ll be fine. He jogs off, and Anna calls Robert. She leaves a message for him to call her back. They need to have a serious talk.

Peter runs into the hospital, and tells Finn that they need to talk privately. Finn asks how fast Peter can talk. He has to change for the Nurses Ball, or Anna won’t be happy. Peter says, it’s an important night, and there’s a narrow window of opportunity. What Finn does or doesn’t do might change everything. Finn asks who told him about the ring? Peter says, what ring?

Carly admires Yvonne’s ring. Sonny asks where Mike found it, and Mike says, it wasn’t in the bottom of a Cracker Jack box. He saved up, and got it at a jeweler on 18th and 72nd. Sonny says, that’s Brooklyn, and Mike says, of course (🍷) it is. Michael asks if they should help clean up. Mike says he’d like to tell them thanks for making the time to be there at his and Yvonne’s engagement party. They’re so happy to share this moment with them. He tells Yvonne that he loves her. She loves him too, and they kiss.

Sam sees Molly, who says she just missed Kristina. They had a good talk about rebuilding bridges they’ve burned. Sam is glad to hear that. Molly says they talked about Shiloh. Kristina is clear that DOD is a cult, and Shiloh is a predator. Sam says she can’t talk about it. Molly says, fair warning. She pitched a story to Peter for The Invader about DOD and Shiloh. Well by the time it would come out, they would have already nailed him.

Lulu tells Maxie that she still loves Dante with all her heart, and she’s determined to fight for her marriage. Maxie is sure Dante is coming home to her, and Lulu hopes she’s right. Maxie says she always is.

Drew tells Kim that he’ll get permits and whatever else they need. He’s glad they’re doing this. Kim is too. Drew leaves, and Julian tells Kim that there’s a legend that Mount Kilimanjaro is the gateway to heaven. Oscar told him. Kim says, it’s exactly where he belongs.

Peter asks if Finn wants to marry Anna or not, and Finn asks if it’s all over the internet. Peter says he needs to step up his game and propose before her ex beats him to the punch. Finn is like, what?

Back home, Carly asks if Sonny isn’t worried about the ring. Sonny says he doesn’t know where Mike got it. He asked at the desk, and no one is missing a ring. He asks Carly to finish telling hm about the appointment. She says the doctor gave them a present. The tests show the sex of the baby. She didn’t want to open it until they were together. He says he’s a little nervous. She opens the envelope, and they read what’s inside, looking happy and surprised. Sonny says, wow. Could it be twins?

Alexis tells Neil that he heard Sam. She’s going to go to the Nurses Ball, and try to act normal. He says maybe he’ll see her there. She says, he’s going? and he says, for the first time. Their paths continually cross. She says, they really do, and he leaves. Alexis ponders this.

Sam says Molly isn’t a reporter, but Molly says she is a concerned citizen with a first person account. Sam asks if Kristina said it was okay. Molly says she’s telling her own story. People need to know. Sam tells her, stay out of it, but she says if Peter okays her pitch, she’s writing the story so everyone will know the truth.

Spinelli thinks Shiloh started off with a fixation on Sam because of the past, and wanted revenge, but at this point, he wants her. If he’s disappointed, he could turn to violence. He asks if Jason isn’t worried, but Jason says, Sam knows what she’s doing. Spinelli says, when she’s in full possession of her faculties. She’s allowing herself to be drugged. What if she blurts out the truth, and he turns on her? Jason says they’ll be there to stop him – one way or another.

Tomorrow, let the Nurses’ Ball begin, Chase tells Willow that he has the greatest idea, and Curtis tells Laura they’ve got trouble. I should say so, since they’re tied back to back.

👗 Tonight the challenge for the Project Runway designers was to choose a cause they cared about, and turn it into a statement look. Elaine Welteroth would be mentoring, and there was no more immunity. They talked about Elaine having used Teen Vogue as a platform for fashion and activism, and maybe it’s me, but I’m tired of getting served everything with a side of activism now. Usually, the curvy models are like the last one picked for the basketball team in gym, but I wondered if everyone would clamor to use one this time. Guess who did? Yep. Tessa. If Nadine had still been there, maybe they would have fought over her. Christian rightly pointed out that Hester is obsessed with tulle. Her advice, put more glitter on it, a suggestion I can definitely get behind. Jamall talked about a lady crossing street when she saw him because she was afraid, and I thought that was weird, since he’s the last person I’d be concerned about on the street. The flash challenge was for the contestants to also design a statement T-shirt that went along with the piece they created, take a couple of selfies with their model, and walk the runway with her. Designer Aurora James, a leader in conscious fashion, was the guest judge.

The runway went this way. Sabastian’s cause was racial equality, and he made a gown of varying flesh tones. If I was going to wear a one-shoulder dress, this would be the one. It was absolutely gorgeous. Venny presented breaking stereotypes, with a gangster-style jacket over a dress using the same elements. Accidentally sewing in the back zipper of the dress backwards, he couldn’t execute his idea the way he really wanted to, because she couldn’t take the jacket off. Garo’s cause was saving the bees, which is close to my heart, and I loved his yellow and black bodycon dress. The yellow being not-quite-neon. Bishme wanted to encourage Baltimore children to blossom, and made another stunning gown, with off-the-shoulder ruffles – the whole neckline was just beautiful – and subtle graphics of children on the skirt. Hester supported marriage equality, and wasn’t happy with her result, wishing she had more time, but I thought it was very cute. Especially the jacket comprised of a rainbow of tulle colors. Jamall wanted to change the Black narrative, and created a beautiful black gown made of puffer material, with a seatbelt belt. Tessa supported women’s rights, with a black dress that exhibited a minimalist sketch of a woman’s body in white, and said mine. Bishme, Jamall, and Sabastian were the top three. I wouldn’t have been able to choose, since IMO they were equally brilliant, but Bishme was the big winner. His advice: As you believe, you can achieve. The bottom two were Garo with his bee dress, which shocked me, but it’s not the first time they’ve criticized something deemed dominatrix style. I’m not sure what’s wrong with that look, but they also said it was costume-y, and I can see the two going hand in hand. The other comment, by Brandon, was that it would show off every flaw brightly, but I think that’s true of a bodycon dress no matter what color it is. Venny was also on the bottom. This was a given once the judges got a good look at the dress, asking the model to take off the jacket, and finding out how unfinished it was. He was out, but he’d come in an accountant, and walked out a designer, so he personally defied stereotypes. Venny said the experience was priceless, and he’d learned he had it in him. There was a group hug.  Next time, the designers have to create dream dresses for the women who run NYC, and Danielle Brooks (Orange is the New Black) is the guest judge.

👠 My favorite Runway recap. I seems I’m still alone though, in my love of the bee dress.

May 9, 2019 – Sam Is Off the Hook, Rocketman Runway, a Charming Preview, Med Return & Idol Pants

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Sam hugs Jason. She asks if he saw Danny, and he says Danny is in the yard with whatever Annabelle is living there now. She hopes they don’t destroy the flowerbeds, but he says Monica said the gardener will replant if they do. Sam says, after Oscar, she’s probably glad to see life goes on. He thanks her for covering for him, and she says, Shiloh has no idea who kicked in the door and knocked him out.

Alexis asks Kristina how she slept, and Kristina says, great. Alexis says she looks refreshed, and she says she is. Kristina sees the table is set, and asks if Alexis cooked. Alexis says, God no. Kristina’s sister made her a frittata with kale and some other healthy stuff in it. If she doesn’t want it, Alexis could try and make something else, but she doesn’t want to scare her. Kristina says the frittata is fine, but she’s been meaning to talk to Alexis. How much freedom does she have while she’s living there?

Kim sits at the counter at Charlie’s. Julian asks if she’s sure he can’t get her something to eat, but she’s not that hungry. He says he’s trying to take care of her. She says she knows. Him being with her last night made things easier. She doesn’t know how she would have done it alone. He can’t imagine what she’s feeling, and she hopes he never does. He says he’s got her if she needs anything. She says she knows, but she’s got to get going. He says she’s not back at the hospital yet, is she? She says she’s still on a leave of absence, but she owes someone a visit.

Chase asks if Willow is all right. She says she’s just anxious. It’s hard to talk about Wiley. She kept the truth to herself for so long, it’s strange saying it out loud. He asks if she regrets telling him, but she says she knows she can trust him. It’s Shiloh who she doesn’t trust. What if he realizes Wiley is his son?

Shiloh massages Brad’s temples. He asks if Brad feels better, and Brad says his heart has returned to a normal human rate. He needed that. Shiloh says he doesn’t have to come to the house to do relaxation exercises. Just do them when he feels anxious. Brad says he’s been climbing the walls since Wiley’s birth mother has been making inroads.

Sonny, Michael, and Mike are at Kelly’s. Mike says they must be celebrating something. Sonny says, the family just got great news. Mike says, that’s right. Michael is about to become a father.

Anna brings coffee to Finn’s office as a token of thanks. He was wonderful last night, He says she makes it easy. She says she means the way he talked her down. She thinks acceptance is kind of freeing. Peter probably isn’t her son, but she can’t prove it one way or the other. She just has to leave it there, move on, and get on with living. Finn says, sounds like a plan. They kiss, and Robert barges in. He says he figured he’d find Anna there. She asks if it isn’t too early for bureau affairs, but he says, it’s more personal. Finn asks if they want privacy. Anna says they’re not kicking him out of his office, and whatever Robert has to say, he can say in front of Finn. Robert says he thinks he found a way to determine if Alex is Peter’s mother.

Robert says he called Frisco, and asks if Anna remembers Dimitri Merrick. She says, Alex’s ex-husband. Robert says it was a tumultuous divorce, and he still had a lot of her paperwork. If they cross reference it with her records, they can determine where Alex was at the time. Anna says, thank Dimitri for his offer, but she’s not interested. Robert asks, why? She says sorry she wasted his time, but she doesn’t want to pursue it. She tells him, leave Alex’s past alone. Is she clear?

Michael asks if Mike is thinking about Jonah. He didn’t make it. Mike apologizes, and Michael says, it’s okay. Sonny says Mike is just confused, and Michael says he’s close. His mom and dad are having a baby. Mike remembers, and says, he gets to be a grandfather again. How lucky is he? Michael has to take off. He wants to see Kristina before he goes to work. After he leaves, Mike asks Sonny why Michael is going to see Kristina. Sonny says, Kristina has been going through a rough time. That’s why she hasn’t been by to see him lately. Mike asks if she’s doing better now, and Sonny says, she’s getting better all the time.

Alexis suggests that she and Kristina take it day by day. Kristina knows Alexis probably has a list of rules, and Alexis says she doesn’t. Well, one. She wants to put in a moat, so they can stay in there all day. Kristina says, a moat would be nice. Maybe some koi. Alexis doesn’t want Kristina to feel like a prisoner. Neil said she and Sonny can’t make decisions for her. They have to trust her to make the right ones. Kristina thanks her, and Alexis says, there’s one caveat. As long as Kristina is there, she can’t see Shiloh or anyone from DOD. Kristina says, that’s fair. Alexis hugs her, and says she loves Kristina so much. Kristina says she loves Alexis too. Alexis can’t wait until Shiloh is out of their lives, and Kristina flashes back to signing her Pledge. Kristina says that makes two of them, and sits down to eat.

There’s a knock at Charlie’s door. It’s Lucas. He tells Kim that he heard about Oscar, and he’s so sorry for her loss. He hugs her, and says, Oscar was a great kid. Kim says, he was, and tells Julian that she’ll catch him later. She leaves, and Lucas says he can’t imagine what she’s going through. If anything happened to Wiley, he doesn’t think he could go on. Julian gets Lucas some coffee, and says he was surprised to get his message. Why does Lucas want to talk to him about his family? Lucas says, something is going on with Brad.

Shiloh tells Brad that he didn’t think the birth mother was in the picture. Brad says, she’s not supposed to be. It was a closed adoption. Shiloh asks what about the father, but Brad says, he’s never been in the picture. He’s not sure the mother even knew who he was. She picked him and Lucas as the adoptive parents, and chose the terms, and now she wants to change them. Shiloh asks, in what way? Brad says, she lives in Port Charles, and keeps finding ways to insert herself in Wiley’s life. It’s making him uncomfortable. Shiloh says it’s not uncommon with members of DOD. We have two families; our biological family, and our chosen family. DOD is a chosen family, and everyone has to make a choice of what works best for them. Wiley is too young to decide for himself, so Brad and Lucas have to decide for him. Brad wants the birth mother to stay away for good, but he’s not getting through. Shiloh suggests Brad bring her there. Maybe he can help.

Alexis tells Kristina that she has a visitor. Kristina hugs Michael, and says he doesn’t have to worry about her anymore, but he says, that’s what older siblings do. She appreciates it. They’re family is dysfunctional and borderline crazy, but she’s lucky to have all of them. She asks if Alexis is crying, and Alexis says, no; it’s just sweet. Kristina says she meant every word, but she has to bail. She wants to apologize to Julian, and beg for her job back. Alexis offers to call, but Kristina says it’s something she needs to do for herself. She thanks Michael and jets. Alexis says, omg, she let Kristina leave. Please tell her it wasn’t a mistake. She has to start trusting Kristina to make her own decisions, and has to believe she saw the truth. A lot of it is due to Willow.

Chase wonders how Shiloh could find out about the baby, and Willow says, Brad is getting in deeper with DOD all the time. He’s taking parenting classes. Shiloh might have already held Wiley. Chase says, even if he did, he’d have no reason to suspect. She says she’s just being paranoid. Chase says, the adoption is final. Brad and Lucas are Wiley’s parents; signed, sealed, and delivered. Willow says, maybe not. Shiloh didn’t agree to the adoption. He doesn’t even know his baby exists. If he finds out, he could sue for custody, and would probably win. I’m not sure how she came to that conclusion, since it’s doubtful.  Oh wait, I was thinking this was the normal world.

Lucas tells Julian that Brad leaves before he does, and gets home late. He doesn’t even know how much sleep Brad is getting. He’s clearly stressing out. Julian asks what Lucas thinks it is, and Lucas says he knows Brad comes in there all the time, and he and Julian have gotten closer. Julian says, that’s an exaggeration, Lucas says, on Valentine’s Day, Julian and Brad spent more time talking with each other than their dates. He thinks Julian knows something, and has to tell him. It’s not just about him and Brad anymore; they have a little boy to consider. He doesn’t want Wiley hurt. Julian says he’s changed. Prove it. Tell him what’s going on with Brad.

Shiloh tells Brad, it sounds like Wiley’s mother could benefit from their teaching. Brad says, especially if he teaches the art of backing the hell off. Shiloh says that’s not exactly his focus, but everyone is welcome. Kim knocks on the door, and Shiloh asks Brad if they can have some privacy. Brad tells Kim that he’s sorry for her loss, and leaves. Shiloh is glad she came. She says she wanted to thank him for the photo he gave Drew. It came at a time when she needed it. She also appreciates him sending over the emails from Oscar’s friends there. They had lovely things to say about him. Shiloh says, Oscar made quite an impression at the house, and Kim says, he had a way of doing that. He doesn’t know where she’s at spiritually, but urges her to think of Oscar’s passing as a return home. He’s not lost or gone. He’s just transitioned to a different plain of existence. She says she didn’t come for spiritual guidance. She came to talk about her son.

Jason tells Sam that Shiloh’s on to them. He found Kristina’s Pledge, but there was nothing in it but blank pages. Sam says it’s a good thing she didn’t leave with him. He asks what she told Shiloh, and she says she told him that a crazed father came in, ranting about what Shiloh did to his daughter. It worked. Jason says she doesn’t have to worry about Shiloh anymore. She’s off the hook.

Mike thinks he upset Michael by bringing up Jonah. Sonny says Michael knows he made a mistake. Mike feels like jackass, but Sonny says Michael knows he didn’t mean any harm. Mike says, it’s a helluva thing, losing a child. It just shouldn’t be that way. Sonny says, no, it shouldn’t. Mike says when Sonny’s sister died, it was the worst feeling in the world. The only thing that got him through it was memories. Snapshots of her as a little girl and a young woman. Mike asks Sonny to promise him something. Promise that when he can’t remember Courtney anymore, that Sonny will remember for him. Sonny promises he will.

Julian says he wants to help, but all Lucas has done is accuse him of lying. Why do that when they’ve come so far? He doesn’t want to rehash the problem, but he doesn’t know where this is coming from. He’s respected the boundaries. It’s killing him that he can’t spend time with his grandson, but he’s honored their decision. Brad coming in there has nothing to do with that. Lucas apologizes, saying he’s just at a loss. When Brad comes in, does he talk about Wiley? Julian says, of course (🍷). It’s pretty obvious Brad is being a stressed out father. Lucas wonders why Brad doesn’t talk to him, and Julian says maybe Brad doesn’t want to disappoint him. Lucas asks how they can fix it if Brad is talking to everyone except him. Julian asks who else Brad is talking to, and Lucas says, the people at DOD. He’d rather Brad talked to Julian than waste time with those people. Julian asks if it isn’t a self-help group, and Lucas says, some people say it’s a cult.

Kim tells Shiloh that she and Oscar moved into his grandmother’s house for his last days. Shiloh is glad she has support, and asks if she’s still there. She says she was welcome to stay, but felt the need to get back to her apartment. He says, that must have been challenging, and she says, it was. When she got to the door, she found flowers, pictures, and letters. There was a beautiful tribute to her son at the door, and it made her feel good enough to continue on inside. They were memories of things he’d never told her about. She wonders if Shiloh could share a memory about Oscar’s time there. He says a memory popped into his head. He asks if she knows Daisy, and Kim says they met, and she seemed sweet. Shiloh says, she is, and she’s a wondaful cook. One night she prepared an amazing communal meal. When they were finished, and uncomfortably stuffed, they were talking about the canned food drive they were planning. Oscar couldn’t understand why the homeless had to eat canned food when they’d just finished this beautiful meal. They were so taken by Oscar’s sentiment, they changed the plan. They had a potluck dinner for the homeless instead, and it was beautiful. All because of her boy. She says, that sounds like Oscar. Shiloh says, he was really special. It made perfect sense when he found out Oscar was Drew’s son. Kim says, Oscar didn’t know his father until a couple of years ago. It was a coincidence they wound up in the same city. Shiloh says he doesn’t believe in coincidence.

Jason tells Sam about the intervention, saying Alexis and Sonny were there. Michael brought Willow, who told Kristina about her initiation. He thinks that’s what got thorough. Kristina knows Shiloh is a predator, and she’s done. Sam says, what about her Pledge? but he says, it doesn’t matter anymore.

Robert says it’s Anna’s big chance to prove Henrick isn’t her son. She says his name is Peter August. There’s no way to prove it, and he’s family to her and Robin. It doesn’t make any difference to her. Robert says it doesn’t make a difference that she didn’t sleep with Faison? It doesn’t make a difference that she didn’t get pregnant? She should be concerned about Henrick. She says, his name is Peter. Robert says, he’s Faison’s son, and now is her big chance to sever all ties. She says she’s not abandoning Peter. Robert says, he’s not a waif; he’s an adult, and could be every bit as treacherous as his father. Finn says, enough.

Finn says, Anna seems to have made her decision. She doesn’t want to pursue it. Anna says, the subject is closed. Robert asks, why? It’s not her decision alone; it affects him and Robin. Anna says he can go to Hungary, but it won’t change anything. She’s made her decision. She wants to have a relationship with Peter as her son. Robert says, and here he was, thinking they’d always have each other’s backs. He walks out.

Willow says part of her wants to tell Brad, so he understands to keep his distance. Chase says, telling anyone raises the risk. If Brad is a true believer he might tell Shiloh himself, which would open her up to legal liabilities. She says she’s damned if she does, and dammed if she doesn’t. He wishes he could advise her, but it’s over his head. He thinks she should talk to her lawyer, and go over the adoption.

Jason tells Sam, whatever Kristina said won’t be enough to get Sonny convicted. Sam says, but if Kristina betrayed him, she’ll feel guilty, and it will eat her alive. They have to find it, and make sure Shiloh can’t use it. Jason says, he can’t use it if he’s in the Pine Barrens, but Sam says, no way. Kristina will make the connection, and they know she’s fragile. She thinks there’s a better way to neutralize Shiloh.

Shiloh says Drew told him about a brilliant woman he knew in San Diego. Drew said he was close to her, so he assumes it was her. She says, could be. He says they might have been together a brief time, but it had a major impact on a spiritual level. Maybe he knew they were connected. Kim says, he never knew he had a son, but it’s nice to think so. He says he believes in Drew, and asks if he ever sent anything to her after he was deployed. A tangible reminder that he was thinking of her.

Julian asks Lucas, who said it was a cult? Lucas says, Willow, Michael’s friend. She was adamant about it. Julian asks how the subject came up, and Lucas says Brad wanted to take Wiley to DOD for a seminar. Willow overheard, and freaked out on them. She said they’d be terrible parents for even taking him there. They’ve only met once or twice, and he doesn’t know why Willow thinks she has a say in his parenting. There’s a knock at the door. It’s Brad. You’d think Lucas would have mentioned Valerie and Chase telling them about DOD first.

Brad says he didn’t realize Lucas would be there, and Lucas bets he didn’t. He asks if everything is okay, and says they should talk outside. They leave, and Brad tells Lucas not to be upset. Lucas asks what Brad is doing there, and Brad says, getting breakfast. Lucas says Charlie’s isn’t open yet, but Brad says he was going to work on some email while he waited. He tells Lucas to stop being mad. Lucas says he was, but Julian thinks Brad is really going through something. He says Brad doesn’t have to go to DOD or Shiloh. Brad can talk to him.

Kim tells Shiloh that she and Drew weren’t in contact after he was deployed. He only left her a CD of songs he put together. That, and Oscar. Shiloh laughs, and says, the best gift of all. She appreciates him taking the time to talk to her, but she has to go. He tells her, just know if there’s anything he can do, if she wants to share her feelings, everyone in the house is there for her. She thinks it will take some time before she opens up to a group of strangers. She thanks him again for the photo and his time. It means a lot.

Mike tells Sonny that he’s glad to hear Kristina is doing better. Tell her to come and see him. Robert walks in, and Sonny says he’ll be right back. Robert tells Sonny, it’s a damn bad time, but Sonny doesn’t give a damn. He wants to know what’s going on with Dante.

Finn tells Anna that he’s sorry if he overstepped. She says his opinion matters more than Robert’s; he’s so biased. Finn says her opinion is the only one that matters to him. If she says Peter is her son, he supports her. She wishes Robert could see it like that, but he he can’t get past the fact that Peter is Faison’s son. He’s nothing like Faison. She says she’s not letting Robert ruin their day, and Finn thinks they still might be able to salvage part of it. She asks if he has something in mind, and he says he has something special planned.

Anna asks if Finn wants to give her a hint, but he says, where’s the fun in that? She says she can probably figure it out. He says he doesn’t think even she can do that. She says she’ll see him tonight. He says, then, until tonight, and kisses her. She leaves, and he calls Robert. He says, this has been going on long enough. Robert has his ring, and he wants it back tonight.

Robert goes outside Kelly’s with Sonny. Mike says he forgot something, and goes to the counter. He picks up the jewelry box with the ring in it, and looks inside.

Robert tells Sonny there’s not a lot he can say about Dante’s debriefing. Sonny asks if he can send Dante a message. There’s a lot going on with the family. Robert says it might motivate Dante to come out early, and they don’t want to jeopardize his progress. Sonny tells him to make sure his people get Dante back to himself, but Robert says, no guarantees. Dante is being treated by experts, but that doesn’t mean he can come back and pick up his life where he left it.

Kim returns to Charlie’s, and Julian asks how it went. She says, it was good. She had a conversation with Shiloh about Oscar. Julian says, Shiloh from DOD? like Shiloh is a common name in Port Charles. She says it’s a little too Zen for her liking, but he was kind and tried to be comforting.

Willow calls Diane, and leaves a message for her to call back. It’s important. Chase thinks she’s doing the right thing. Her phone dings, but Willow says it’s an email from the principal about a last minute parent meeting. Chase says everything will be okay. She hopes so.

Michael tells Alexis it will take some adjusting. She thinks the therapy worked, but that Willow affected Kristina most of all. She didn’t know that Shiloh would brand her with a tattoo, and about the sexual assault. When Willow talked about that, she imagined her daughter in Willow’s place; it blew her mind. She’s grateful, and prays the breakthrough is final, and Kristina doesn’t backslide.

Shiloh is about to leave, and finds Kristina on the porch. He says, she came back.

Sam tells Jason that they’re going to beat Shiloh at his own game. They’re going to blackmail him. Jason asks, with what? and she says, the initiation is illegal. Drugging people is assault, and having sex with them while they’re drugged is sexual assault. They have to let Shiloh finish his initiation with her and record it.

Tomorrow, Laura tells Curtis that they need to find Ryan before he finds them, Neil tells Alexis that she has to trust her daughter, and Kristina tells Shiloh that she’d appreciate it if he gave her Pledge back. Good luck with that.

🎩 When I started watching Project Runway, I got confused, thinking they were in Kentucky. That was a previous season of Top Chef. I knew it was bound to happen someday that I’d get mixed up about what I was watching. That used to happen to me when I watched several soaps. The challenge was to design an Elton John early performance piece, inspired by the biopic Rocketman,. Costume designer for the movie, Julian Day – who looks like an Amish dude with a nose ring – was the guest judge. Everyone freaked over having male models, which pretty much continued throughout the show. Even I was annoyed when a contestant got glue on the iron (it was assumed by doing facing), told no one, and Lela ended up with it on her project. In a prominent spot. At the runway, when the first model walked out, Brandon said he was not ready for this, since he didn’t even drink yet today. The way the judges kept talking about Elton, I kept thinking he was dead. The designers were helped by former contestants, and Sonia was irritated because Garo didn’t give her credit when he was praised. Brandon noted that Tessa had never finished a hem. It was a good thing once again that Hester had immunity (the last one for the season), as the judges weren’t thrilled with her rooster suit. It did kind of look like a homemade Halloween costume. It seems like with Hester, it’s either a tremendous win or an epic fail. It was a close call for the win between Bishme and Garo. Bishme paired a jumpsuit with a graphic tee and overcoat, which he said was inspired by (I Guess That’s Why) They Call It the Blues. This was my personal favorite, and oddly enough, that’s one of my favorite Elton John songs. Garo ended up the winner with a silver explosion that had a corseted waist and silver flames on the boots. I was hoping Tessa would be out. Not for the unfinished hems, but because she’s kind of snarky (but not in a good way) and full of excuses. It was Lela who was shown the door though, for a bad fit and not doing justice to Elton. If anyone did have an excuse, she was the one, since I think the whole glue thing threw her off. There was no way to try and remove it without making it worse, so she struggled to find a cover-up. I was kind of surprised too, that it wasn’t Venny, whose work was deemed cheap and unfinished. His model’s pants were more on the ground than the pants General Larry Platt sang about on American Idol. The back hem was like a train and just did not work. Even Venny was praying the model didn’t take a spill on the runway. On her way out, Lela agreed it wasn’t her best work, and said it had meant a lot to be there. She’d come a long way, and was proud of herself. It was a tremendous honor. Karlie told her that she would do great things. Next time, the designers have to create something that evokes a cause they care about, and in addition to using models, will also be modeling themselves.

🍹 As a filler, Bravo aired a half-hour of Southern Charm: How They Got Here, but it didn’t include last season. It was still fun to go down Charleston Memory Lane, and they also showed a sneak peek of season six. It looks promising. Fox hunting, grape stomping, Patricia getting fast food, Craig turning into an a-hole again, and #HiAshley. Cameran also hopes they’re not all subpoenaed.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Sam hugs Jason, and says she almost got caught. He asks if she’s sure she didn’t. She is, but says Shiloh has file on her, and it’s really creepy.

Shiloh walks into Willow’s classroom, and says he knew she’d make an excellent teacher. She tells him the school is going to be filled with parents in a minute. He says he probably knows some of them; it will be good to say hello. He says he and her mother spoke. They talked through everything,

On the phone, Chase tells Valerie that he’s sure Alexis knows they’re watching, and she’s being careful. Michael is at Kelly’s, and he’ll let her know what he finds out. He goes inside, and asks Michael if he’s heard from Kristina. If he doesn’t have her stashed away somewhere, she could be in danger.

Franco sees Cameron at the hospital. He says it’s been days, and asks Cameron to stand still long enough to hear him out.

Josslyn touches her cheek and smiles. She looks at Oscar, and says his name. She goes to the bed, and touches his hand. She touches his face, and feels his chest. She says if he can hear her, she loves him. Kim and Drew come in, and Kim runs to the bed. She feels for a pulse, shakes Oscar a little, and looks at Drew. Drew says, he’s gone? Kim gets in the bed, holds Oscar, and cries. Josslyn goes out of the room, and Kim says, no, no, no.

Ned and Monica come in to find Josslyn crying on the stairs. Ned puts his arm around her, and says he’s so sorry. Does she want him to call her mom? She says, no; she’ll call in a minute. They have plenty of time now. He holds her, and she cries.

Kim and Drew lie on either side of Oscar. Monica comes in and cries when she sees them. Drew holds her, and she says, what a beautiful young man. Okay, Alan. Look after our grandson.

Willow tells Shiloh not to call Harmony her mother. Mothers don’t do what she did. Shiloh says Harmony thinks she’d be most productive in Beechers Corners. Everything he’s done is for her, so she can rightfully take her place next to him of her own free will.

Michael tells Chase that he approached the commissioner about opening an investigation. She and the DA shut him down. Kristina disappeared to consider her options. Chase says Kristina isn’t the only person who’s life could get blown up. If what he’s doing backfires, other people will suffer.

Josslyn tells Ned that she was reading to Oscar. Her eyes started getting heavy, so she closed them for a second. When she opened them, he was so still; real still. Olivia walks in, sees them, and starts to cry. Josslyn says, Oscar died.

Monica says she’ll make the necessary calls. Kim thanks her. Monica hugs Drew, and he thanks her. Drew tells Kim that Oscar must have been ready to go. Kim says, look at his face. He’s gone, and he’s still trying make things easier on us. Drew says, he tried stay as long as he could. He tells Kim, they have to be strong, and Kim cries in his arms.

Franco tells Cameron that he was wrong to say Cameron isn’t a good brother. He’s an excellent brother. Cameron says they think he’s ashamed of Aiden, but they’re wrong; he loves his brother. He wishes the entire world would see Aiden like he does – funny, smart, and sweet – but they don’t. Kids are mean and bullies. They don’t mean gay as a compliment, so to telling Aiden to be himself is setting him up to get hurt. They’re making him a target. Maybe saying he should be less gay was wrong the way to protect him, but that’s what he was trying to do. Franco says he has his brother’s back. Franco does too, whether Cameron likes him or not. Cameron says he has to go to work. Franco says thanks for hearing him out, but Cameron is already walking away.

Josslyn calls Carly, and says, please come. She needs her. Carly says she’s on her way. Before she gets in the elevator, she sees Elizabeth, and tells her she just got a call from Josslyn. She thinks it just happened, and she’s on her way over. Elizabeth says she’ll get Cameron.

Chase asks Michael if he can say where Kristina is. Michael says, if he needs help, he won’t hesitate to reach out. He leaves, and Chase calls Valerie. He says, nothing yet, but he’s going to follow Michael’s trail, and see where it leads.

Willow tells Shiloh that she wants nothing to do with DOD or him. He says if he truly thought she was leaving him, he’d have to release her from her Pledge, but since she has a special place in his heart and life, he’ll give her time to reconsider her options. He tells her not to make him wait too long. Even a man with his discipline has limits to his patience.

Ned sees Drew on the stairs. Drew says when Oscar and Kim moved in, this is where they would sit and wait. It’s close enough to Oscar’s room, in case he needed help, but it’s far enough to give him privacy. Oscar won’t need his help ever again. He’ll never need help, but he’s still sitting there because it doesn’t fell right to leave. This was the spot. Ned sits next to him, and says in the short time that he got to know Oscar, he could tell Oscar was a remarkable person. Drew says, he got that from his mom, but Ned says Drew is incredibly brave and loyal, and looks out for the people he loves. Ned doesn’t know Kim, but he knows who she reminds him of. Oscar is very lucky to have him as a father, and they’re all lucky to have known Oscar as long as they did.

Kim tells Oscar, here we are. Just you and me. Just like the day he was born. The first time she held him and felt his warmth, his heartbeat was so strong and fast; he was just perfect. Perfect to her. When she held him, it was like he was saying not only was he was hers but she was his too. When he came into this world, he got bigger, but today, he just got a lot smaller. She’s not going to be any good a this, because she doesn’t know how to do this. She puts her head next to his.

Sam tells Jason, she’s so sorry. Oscar was so good to his little sister. She and Scout will miss him Jason says, he was a good kid. He tells Sam that he should go. Sam ask if he can check on Danny and Scout while he’s there. She doesn’t want them to know what’s really going on. Maybe she and Jason can tell them together. They exchange I love yous, and he kisses her goodbye. He lets out a huge breath when he’s in the hallway outside.

Franco tells Elizabeth that he spoke with Cameron. Elizabeth says, it’s Oscar. He’s gone. Franco says, okay. He should call Drew. She asks him to help her find Cameron. He needs to hear it from her.

Shiloh runs into Michael in the hallway at the school. He says, Mr. Quartermaine, or is it Corinthos? Michael says, it depends on the day. Shiloh asks if Michael has children at the school, and Michael says he’s sponsoring an environmental project for Willow’s class. He’s checking on the process. He asks if Shiloh has a child there. Shiloh says he’s still friends with Willow, and he stopped by to say hello. Shiloh moves on, and Michael goes into Willow’s classroom. He asks if she’s okay, and she says, fine. He asks what Shiloh wanted, and she says, what he always wants – her.

Ned tells Josslyn that Oscar knew her heart was set on them preforming together at the Nurses’ Ball. He also knew he might not be able to, and didn’t want to let her down. He gives her a paper, and she says, this is their song. Ned says he actually asked if he could help, but he didn’t do much. He acted as Oscar’s hands, and played what Oscar wanted him to, giving a suggestion or two. Josslyn says, it’s finished, and Ned says, Oscar finished it for her.

Carly tells Kim she’s so sorry. They hug, and Carly she goes to Josslyn. Josslyn hugs Carly, and asks if Carly will help her. She doesn’t know what to do.

In Oscar’s room, Drew says he can’t stop thinking about the first few times they tried to meet. What a disaster those were. Every time it was his fault, but Oscar didn’t let that stop them. They made sure they got through it. Oscar wanted to know everything about him. He’d wondered about his father his whole life, and when they finally met, neither one of them knew a damn thing about him. He never stopped feeling guilty about not giving Oscar the answers he was looking for. No matter who he is, he’s a better man because he knows Oscar.

Drew tells Oscar that Kilimanjaro isn’t as hard to climb as he might think. There are some places you can climb right up, and it’s not as hard, until you get close to the summit, where it’s steep, and the air gets thin. He would have carried Oscar on his back. They could stand under the stars every night on the way up and on the way down. He came looking for a strong father, and thought Drew was strong enough to climb the entire mountain. He gets next to Oscar on the bed, and says he can’t thank Oscar enough for coming into his life. Oscar has been the beat of his heart. For the rest of his life, he’ll be on top of a mountain. Drew cries.

Monica puts Oscar’s photo on the mantel, next to the picture of Lila and Edward. Jason comes in, and hugs her.

Michael asks Willow to tell him what he can do to help. She says, let her talk to his sister. If it keeps another woman from being taken in by that psychopath, she won’t feel so helpless. He says he came to ask her to talk to Kristina. She tells him, set it up. She’s done being bullied by Shiloh.

Sam opens the door to find Shiloh. He says she doesn’t seem pleased to see him. She says she always is, and asks him in. He says she didn’t answer when he called, and he was concerned. She looks at her phone, and says, there he is. She’s sorry she missed it. She asks if he remembers Oscar. He says, Drew’s boy. He’s a great kid. She says, he passed away, so she’s been a little preoccupied. Shiloh says he’s so sorry. The dead don’t need us to wallow in their absence. Right now, this is about her, and the path she’s going to follow; what she’s going to do, and the journey she’s about to embrace. It’s also time for her to join the Trust. He gives her a recorder.

Jason hugs Josslyn. Drew comes in, and says, apparently, Jason is executor. He asks if Jason knows about the Kilimanjaro Project. Jason does. Oscar was very specific about what he wants and how to do it. Kim asks what it’s about, and Drew says, apparently (WOTD), Oscar donated a portion of his estate to start the Kilimanjaro Foundation to help teens, healthy or otherwise, to mountain climb. Josslyn asks if she can see him. Kim says, of course (🍷 – and a few more just because this is sad 🍷🍷). Carly asks if Josslyn wants her to come, but Josslyn says, no. She’s not scare of seeing him. Just the opposite. The thought of never seeing him again… She goes upstairs.

Elizabeth tells Cameron, there’s no easy way to say this. She’s so sorry, but Oscar passed away a little while ago. Cameron says they all knew it was going to happen. Franco says, it’s still hard to lose a friend. Cameron says he was more Josslyn’s friend than his. They got along okay, but were never close. Elizabeth tells him, it’s okay to be sad. She can call his supervisor, and say he can’t work. Cameron says he’s okay. He’ll see them at home later. He leaves, and Elizabeth says that’s not how she expected it to go.

Cameron goes out to the stairwell, and leans against the wall. He slides down to the floor, and cries.

Josslyn thanks Oscar for finishing the music. She asks if he remembers saying he was scared of dying because she’d miss him. She doesn’t want him to miss her. She wants him to go somewhere beautiful and wonderful. Looking down from the stars onto Mount Kilimanjaro. Somewhere that doesn’t hurt. She wants him to be okay. She leans on his chest, saying, he’s the only person she can say this to. Everyone else will think she was dreaming. She felt it when he kissed her goodbye on her cheek. She heard him say he loved her before he left. She loves him too. She’ll love him forever.

Chase goes to Willow’s classroom. Apparently (ha-ha), all those parents she said were showing up momentarily, still aren’t there. She says, thank God. She’s so happy see him. Did he see Michael leaving? He just stopped by about his sister. She agreed to tell Kristina about her experience with DOD. Chase says, so Michael knows where she is? Willow says he’s supposed to take her to see Kristina. If she can prevent Kristina from going back to Shiloh, that’s exactly what she’s going to do. I can’t believe she just gave Michael away.

Carly tells Jason that she can’t believe what Josslyn is going through. It’s unfair. Josslyn is just a teenager; she shouldn’t have to feel this. She’s growing up faster than Carly wants her to. She’s an amazing kid. She doesn’t regret one day of loving Oscar; she doesn’t regret any of it. Carly doesn’t want her to hurt like this. Jason takes her hand, and says she’s just got to be there for Josslyn. Carly puts her head on his shoulder.

Shiloh tells Sam that Trust members are required to give him a piece of private information. Information, that if it ever got out, would be detrimental to them or a member of their family. Sam asks if he wants her to give him a secret that might hurt someone she loves.

Chase tells Willow that he understands she wants to help. After she sees Kristina, he wants her to tell him. If she’s being held against her will, Willow could be complicit in a kidnapping. Willow says, the only crime will be if Kristina gets sent back.

Sam asks Shiloh why the Trust requires a gesture like that. Shouldn’t the Trust be based on… trust? He thought she had more faith in him and DOD. She was so close.

Josslyn texts Cameron, Oscar is gone. He texts back, I’m so… Changes it to, he was… and changes that to, are you… But instead of sending anything, he shuts off the phone, throws it, and cries.

Carly tells Josslyn, they’re here to take Oscar. She doesn’t have to be there. Josslyn says, no. She wants to. Carly says, okay, and helps Josslyn up. The song about goodbye plays, as Drew carries Oscar’s body to the gurney and lays him down. Kim covers him, and touches his face. She kisses his forehead, and weeps. Josslyn cries in Carly’s arms. The guys from the coroner’s office wheel Oscar out. We end with a tableau of Ned and Olivia, Josslyn and Carly, Drew and Kim, and Jason and Monica. Everyone is a mess, including me.

Tomorrow, Valerie tells Chase it just got interesting, Alexis has initiated Plan B, and Jason tells Sam to make the Pledge about him. Question. How would Shiloh even know if she wasn’t making something up? Not sure what the big deal is there.

👙 I’m actually starting to enjoy Project Runway. Tonight’s challenge was to create a mini collection for Morena Baccarin – aka Deadpool’s wife – who was going to Rio on vacation. The designers were split into three teams, and were instructed to showcase three cohesive looks that tell a vacation fashion story. Stylist to the stars, Marni Senofonte, was a guest judge, along with Elaine Welteroth, who was sitting in for Karlie. Besides Karlie having another commitment, Nina was running a fever, and wisely stayed home. Beachy and color were a main focus. No surprise, because, Rio. I wondered if Morena had been in the fashion industry, since she used the term pant; as in that pant, and as opposed to those pants, which the average person would say. My husband even made a comment when she said it, kind of making fun, but I was too busy to stop and lecture him on it. I also wondered wth was going on with Marni’s ears. Was that Jesus Christ hanging from them? A random dude with outstretched arms? Or maybe a weird iris? Brandon found Renee’s banana yellow drop crotch genie pants upsetting. I don’t know if I’d go that far, but they were a hard no. I thought Venny’s sun dress was cute, but the judges and Morena thought it was too cute, like something for a teenager. Hester bounced back, and was the big winner, with a reversible bathing suit that laced on the sides and had a matching wrap skirt. Jamall had immunity, which was good for him, since he created a mess, or as Morena said, all kinds of bad. It was supposed to be a bathing suit (I guess), but the net skirt was attached, and went between her legs. One judge suggested that she’d end up drowning, and would be found with fish in the net. it was a tough choice between that, and Renee’s banana pants, but the pants, and Renee, were out. Renee seems like a cool lady, and was very laid back about being eliminated. She was also wearing an amazing plaid jacket that I’d pay a lot for if I had the money. She was going home to get married, and said she wanted to prove it was okay to make a decision later in life to follow your dream. Unlike her class act, once again Tessa was a bummer. When Hester was being given her win, Tessa told the others it was no big deal that Hester’s suit was reversible. And when Hester returned, Tessa said she didn’t love Hester’s look, while everyone else was celebrating her win. She’s like a petulant fourteen-year-old. I’m not liking that one. Next week, the designers have to come up with an Elton john performance piece. The best quote tonight came from Hester – I think for me, if I’m freaking out but not crying, that’s good.

A fun blow-by-blow Runway recap:

https://www.goldderby.com/article/2019/project-runway-recap-blame-it-on-rio-live-blog-news/

🔫 Speaking of Deadpool, I watched Deadpool 2 last weekend, and I loved it so much, I immediately wanted to see it again. I love me some Josh Brolin, it was a lot of fun with a touch of poignancy, and the soundtrack rocked.

👀 On Watch What Happens Live, a viewer asked if Charlize Theron had turned down the Wonder Woman role. She said no, but her agent had heard buzz about the movie, and said something to her about possibly being in it. She said she wasn’t familiar with Wonder Woman’s character, and asked what she does. The agent said, no. She should consider the role of Wonder Woman’s mother. She knew then, that she had turned a corner.

🌴 Because It’s On Runway Theme…

I’m also tired, and it was the first thing that came to mind. You could do worse.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Laura and Doc lounge around, kissing, and saying I love you. Laura says she’s been missing his last name and can’t wait to use it again. He says, it might be a while. She asks if he’s meeting Ava and Felicia today. He tells her it’s the last thing he wants to do.

At The Floating Rib, Ava asks if Felicia is ready to put her plan into action. Felicia says she has one problem. Ava asks, what’s that? Mac comes out, and says, me.

Josslyn and Oscar practice their song on the terrace at the Quartermaine’s, but Oscar is feeling tired. Josslyn thinks they’ll be blown away at the Nurses’ Ball, and he perks up a little.

Cameron goes to the hospital for his community service. Elizabeth wants him to know she’s the only mom he’s got, and she loves him. Eventually they have to find their way through this. He’s not exactly communicative, and moves on. Epiphany asks how that went, but Elizabeth doesn’t know.

Outside Kelly’s, Anna thanks Robert for coming. He says, before she starts, there’s nothing she can tell him that will make him believe he was with Alex. If she wants to torture herself, he’ll hold her hand through the entire miserable episode, but he knows why he fell in love with her. He knows she gave birth and she’s Robin’s mother. She says he’s right.

Carly meets Bobbie at the hospital, and thanks her for being there. Bobbie says it’s always good to have an extra set of ears when you’re listening to the doctor. Carly says genetic testing isn’t her favorite, but Bobbie says it’s standard, and nothing is set in stone; it’s just theoretic. Carly says she and Sonny just want someone to say the baby is healthy. Bobbie is surprised Sonny isn’t there. Carly isn’t. He’s dealing with a situation – it’s not dangerous, but it’s important. Bobbie says, more important than Carly and the baby? Carly says, that situation is urgent; hers isn’t. Bobbie asks if there’s any chance Sonny is using it to keep his distance. Carly says, maybe a little. He doesn’t want her to die, and if everything goes okay, the baby will be a whole sibling to Morgan, and a living reminder of the son they lost. Bobbie says, it’s a gamble in more ways than one. Carly says Sonny has to deal with things his way, and she has to deal with them her way. She just wishes their ways were the same, but they’re not. Bobbie says she’s not alone. She’s there for Carly, whatever she needs. Bobbie’s phone rings, and they go in.

Drew asks Josslyn how it’s going, and Josslyn says, Oscar fell asleep. Monica says, what’s better than a nap in the sunshine? and I’m in. Josslyn says she has an errand to run, but she’ll be back. After she leaves, Kim says she’s so grateful for Josslyn. What she’s giving Oscar is such a gift. Monica thinks Josslyn would say he’s given her just as much.

Elizabeth tells Epiphany, it is what it is. Cameron just hasn’t bonded with Franco the way the other two have. Maybe he’s resistant because of his age. Maybe it’s because of who Franco used to be, or maybe both, but she can’t seem to fix it. Epiphany says, don’t. You can’t force people bond. Elizabeth loves her son; he loves her. Elizabeth says, and he loves his brothers. Epiphany says they’re good people. That’s what matters. They might bump along for a little bit, but eventually find out they have more in common than they thought. Elizabeth wants to bridge the gap, but Epiphany says they have to build that bridge on their own. Elizabeth says it’s no Brady Bunch, and Epiphany says, reality is more complicated. People say give it time for a reason. Sometimes it’s the only way.

Anna says she owes Robert an apology. He warned her about going down the rabbit hole, but she did anyway. Robert loves the apology; it happens so rarely. What made her come to her senses? Anna shows him the bracelet, and asks if he remembers it. He says she saw it at a stall in Castellammare. They were halfway through their mission, and she had to have it. Of course, she had no money, so he bought it to shut her up. She says she wore it through the whole mission, and through Robin’s conception. When she saw the picture, it was like a freight train hit her. Alex never had this. Robert says he was never with Alex. He was always with her.

Elsewhere, Finn looks at the engagement ring.

Felicia makes herself scarce, and Ava asks Mac if he’s not tired of living in fear that Ryan will show up and finish his twisted game. She wants more than that. Mac says she wants to bump Ryan off, and he doesn’t blame her, but she’s not getting Felicia involved in a murder conspiracy. Ava says she wants to bring Ryan to justice, and Mac says they’re not helping to kill him. Whatever she’s cooking up, keep it to herself. Felicia comes back, and asks if everything is all right. Ava says they all have the same mission – to keep Ryan from killing again, whatever it looks like.

Doc says the part he played, the sin of treating Ryan in secret… Laura tells him to try and stop beating himself up about it. He says he is. That’s why he’s teaming up with Ava and Felicia. It’s part of his amends, but they’re also right. The best way to lure Ryan out is to make him believe Ava has taken up with his hated twin. Laura says, a necessary evil to bring Ryan to justice. She says it’s hard for him be around Ava, isn’t it? He says, yes. What his brother did, the shambles he made of her life… He could never say this to her, but he knows why Ryan killed Kiki. It wasn’t a random, spur of the moment thing, or because she was young, beautiful, and blonde. He did it because she was Ava’s. Maybe to impress her, or it was what he thought she wanted, but he thinks Ryan did it to make her more vulnerable, and to need him. It doesn’t matter what the reason is. Kiki is dead because her mother got involved with his brother. Laura says it’s not Ava’s fault either, and Doc says, no, it’s Ryan’s, but it circles back to him. That’s why it’s physically painful to look at Ava. Her life will never be the same, and he played a big part in that. Laura hugs him, saying it’s painful for her too. She doesn’t want him near Ava, but if it’s what has to be done, they can get through it, as long as they’re together. He says he shut her out once, and can’t tell her how much he regrets it. He’ll never do it again. There’s no way he’ll do this without her. She says lucky for him, he doesn’t have to.

Kim feels Oscar’s forehead as he sleeps on the terrace. She goes inside, and Monica asks how their boy is. Kim says sleeping. No surprise; he had a rough night. Monica asks if the headaches are worse. Kim says they are, and his left side is weaker. Monica says she can call Terry and have a consult about pain medication, but Kim says, no. Oscar is working on a song for the Nurses’ Ball with Josslyn. It’s as if they’re trying to turn back the hands of time. Monica says, if that was possible, she’d join them.

Josslyn sees Cameron at the hospital, and asks what the hell he thinks he’s doing. He says, community service? She says he promised to be there for Oscar. He says he will be, after he’s finished. She asks when was the last time he saw Oscar? and he says they texted last night. He’s sorry he’s strong, and Oscar is sick and dying, but he doesn’t know how to handle it. Josslyn says, when Oscar is gone, he’s gone; there’s no looking back. Oscar needs Cameron to be there for him. Cameron says he’s got it; freak out on his own time. Right now belongs to Oscar. He asks if that’s what Josslyn does, and she says, yeah. He hugs her, and she asks where he’s been. He tells her that he’s sorry.

Carly’s OB asks how she’s feeling. Carly says, great. The doctor asks about nausea and fatigue, and Carly says, so far, so good. Bobbie asks how Carly’s blood pressure is, and the doctor says she’s in range. Carly knows that can change, and promises she won’t ignore medical advice. The doctor wishes all the patients were like her. She says Carly’s first son was born prematurely, which could be caused by hypertension. It’s all the more reason to keep an eye on things. Bobbie says Carly has lots of extra eyes on her. The doctor asks about her other pregnancies, and Carly says Morgan’s birth was normal, and the doctor has the records for Josslyn. Michael had a heart defect, a hole that was corrected, and there have been no other problems. The doctor asks if Michael doesn’t have a different father, and Carly says, yes, but she’d still like the baby monitored. The doctor says they’ll do a test later in the pregnancy, and asks if she has any other concerns. Carly says her daughter has kidney disease, but the doctor says most renal diseases aren’t inherited. Carly asks, what about being bipolar? Her husband is, and she wonders what the chances are of the baby inheriting it.

Anna tells Robert that she’s sorry she opened that horrible can of worms. She doesn’t know what’s wrong with her. Robert says, she’s in love. Finn wouldn’t be his first choice, but he does something for her, and he’s got her spiraling. Anna says, that’s so Robert; thinking he knows her better than she knows herself. He says he does. She’s dredging up mistakes from her past to convince herself that she shouldn’t be happy. For a smart woman, she’s a basket case. Correct him if he’s wrong. She says that’s one of her favorite pastimes, but she thinks he might be right. He says an apology and this? He takes out his phone to record the moment. Anna makes him put the phone away, and says she thinks he might be right. She’s afraid to be happy.

Robert tells her, of the two of them, she’s made the most progress in turning her life around. At this point, she’s attracting her own misery. She says, true, and he asks if she wants his advice. She says, no, but he says, here it comes. Let the past stay where it is; in the past. They can’t change it, and at this point, she needs to start moving forward. Allow herself to be happy. How she does that is her business. She says one thing she doesn’t regret is falling in love with him. He says, that makes two of them. He says, there were disasters, and she says, a lot, but they have an amazing daughter to to show for it. They hug. Finn arrives, and Anna waves to him behind Robert’s back. Finn says, good news, or bad?

Mac says he’s on board – to a point. Ava says Ryan needs to be dealt with, and if the cops won’t do it, it’s up to them. Mac says if Ryan gets shot execution style, they’ll all be in trouble. It will be premeditated. They can call Ryan evil, but it doesn’t give them the right to assume they can commit murder. Doc walks in, and says, that’s quite an assumption.

Cameron asks Josslyn how Oscar is doing. She says, he’s tired and weak, but still Oscar; playing music and writing poetry. Cameron adds, telling lame jokes, and Josslyn says, absolutely. She tells Cameron, this is it. They’re not getting any more time with him. He asks how she’s so chill with this, and she says she’s not. She can’t stop and think, so she’s trying to make as many memories as she can. He says she’s amazing, but she says, no. She asks if he’s coming by the Quartermaine’s today. He says he is, but he needs to get something first. Josslyn starts leave, and Cameron says he knows he’s been a crappy friend, but swears he’s there for her. She knows.

Monica sits near Oscar with Scout. She pats his leg, and he opens his eyes. She says, sorry to wake him, but Scout wanted to show her big brother her toys. Oscar says, cool. Monica tells him that Josslyn has to run an errand, but will be back soon. He says, Scout is so little. She won’t even remember him. Monica says she might not have the memories, but she’ll know him; they’ll tell her stories. Oscar thinks it would be cool if Scout climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro with their dad in his place. Monica says, please don’t mention that. She’d like to live a little longer before she has a heart attack. Scout might not have memories of him, but part of her is connected to him through their father. And that is forever. He’s glad something is. She takes his hand.

Drew comes back to the Quartermaine’s, and Monica tells him Scout is having her nap. She asks how lunch was, and he says he’s never eating again. Even after he told Olivia he wasn’t hungry, she kept piling food on his plate. Oscar says he had no idea how many different kinds of pasta there were. Monica thinks Olivia is making some of them up. Oscar tells Drew that he should take Scout to Mt. Kilimanjaro, and Monica suggests something more local. There’s a great hill in the park. Drew asks, what’s the thrill in that? Monica says, no thrill equals safe. She wants to take a picture of them, and goes to get Kim. Drew asks how Oscar is doing, and Oscar says, it’s a good day.

Anna tells Finn, when she saw the bracelet in the picture, she felt sorry about the crying, hammering, and sleepless nights. The whole thing was stupid. Robert says, it’s not the first time, and won’t be the last. Anna says she bought it while they were on assignment, and Robert asks, who bought it? She says he did, and she had it the entire time. Finn says, meaning Alex never did. Robert says, Robin is, and always will be, their daughter.

The doctor tells Carly, a bipolar parent does give a child a genetic vulnerability, but it’s by no means a given. She asks if Carly’s husband has other biological children, and Carly says, three. She asks if there are any symptoms. Carly says Dante is fine. Kristina is iffy, but she doesn’t think that’s the problem, and Avery is too young to tell. The doctor says there’s no test for it, and it can skip a generation, but they should concentrate on what they can control. The mother staying healthy and informed. She says if there are no more questions, she’ll tell the staff that Carly is ready for the test.

Drew finds Elizabeth and Josslyn in the sitting room, and he says, Oscar just woke up from a nap. Elizabeth asks how he’s doing today, and Drew says, it’s been a good day. He’s says Oscar is with Monica and his mom, and asks Josslyn to hold up a minute.

Oscar says he was thinking about something, and it has nothing do with how he feels about Kim. She’s his mom, and the most important person in his life. If it’s okay with her, he’d like to add Quartermain to his name. Monica tells him, by the way, he’s already a Quartermaine, like the rest of them. Oscar feels lucky to have found this family, who welcomed him, no questions asked. He wants the name to be part of his legacy. Kim says, Oscar Nero Quartermaine. He asks what she thinks. She thinks finding his father, and the family that came with him means a lot to Oscar, as it should. Do it. He asks if she’s sure. It doesn’t change… Kim says, anything between them. She knows. Do it. Monica thinks it’s an honor that he wants to add the family name to his. They all smile.

They go back inside, and Drew asks if they want to fill him and Josslyn in. Oscar says he’s changing his name. From here on out, he’ll be Oscar Nero Quartermaine. Cameron arrives, and says, way to boost his social status. Oscar asks if he’s jealous, and Cameron asks if he’s kidding. The Quartermaines are insane. No offense. He says he went home to pick up some cards; his mom always brings them out when they’re sick. Josslyn asks what’s with the bag of peanuts he has, and he says they don’t have chips. Monica brings out a case, and suggests they use these. Oscar’s great-grandfather was a dedicated poker player. Oscar thinks maybe they should stick with the peanuts, but Kim says he’s a Quartermaine now, and it’s part of Quartermain tradition. Cameron says they need a fourth, and Oscar asks Drew. Josslyn says as long as he’s not a sore loser. Drew doesn’t know. He’s never lost.

Doc tells Ava that she’s only ever seen the good side of Ryan. The one in love with her, who would do anything to make her happy. She hasn’t seen his vengeful side. She says Ryan hasn’t seen hers either. The woman he knew was a grieving mother, so devoted and human, who would let him lead her anywhere. Now she knows he killed her daughter, and she’s going to make him pay like no one ever has. Doc says they’ll do what they need to, and see that he does.

Anna says she’s never been so relieved. Robert says except when Robin turned out to be alive. Anna says, that was a miracle, plain and simple, Robert says miracle describes their kid; she’s perfect. Finn is happy for her. Anna says she is too. Robert says, there it is – happiness. She says she’s not looking back anymore. She’s going to focus on the future, and make the most of every moment. Finn says, sounds like a plan.

Anna thanks them for being patient. She’s sorry, and Robert tells her, do away with the apologies. Enough is enough. Anna wants to FaceTime with Robin, and goes inside Kelly’s to freshen up. Finn thinks she’s not completely over the memory thing. Robert says he just watched a woman claw her way back from eternal purgatory. It will be fine. Finn says, yeah, and Robert tells him, learn to read the signs better. Finn is sure Robert could teach a class. Robert says, if it could ensure Anna’s happiness, he would.

Epiphany calls Carly in for her test. Carly thanks Bobbie, and Bobbie says, good luck. Carly says she’ll take all she can get.

Laura sighs, and looks at her phone. She calls Lulu, leaving a message for her to call back when she has a chance. Laura has a lot to tell her.

Ava says, so they’re all on board. Mac just wants to say it one more time. They trap Ryan, and turn him over to the authorities. Felicia says she’s in. Doc says he is too. Ava says, all right. Let’s get started. The sooner Ryan believes they think he’s dead, the sooner they’ll be rid of him.

Oscar raises Drew twenty dollars. Josslyn and Cameron fold. Drew asks if Oscar is bluffing, or has a hand. Oscar says, one way to find out. Drew says he’s out, and Cameron asks what Oscar has. Oscar shows his cards, and says, nothing. Drew wants the hand back. Monica tells Kim and Elizabeth, if there was ever any doubt that Oscar was a Quartermaine, it’s gone now. They laugh, and Cameron deals another hand.

Tomorrow, Anna asks why Robert keeps giving Finn a hard time, Carly tells Sonny that Avery deserves an answer to her question, and Oscar asks to speak to Jason alone.

👗 On Project Runway, the contestants were to interpret elegance inspired by weird items in one of Brandon Maxwell’s see-through button bags. The designers picked from ten bags, drawing lots to see who went first, second, etc. The range was pretty wide; peacock feathers, a blue display hand, a silver mirror set, a mini Grecian bust, an orchid, a bottle of rosé, dollar bills, headphones, lemons and limes, and a perfume bottle. Another word thrown around a lot by the judges and Christian, was restraint. There was a flash challenge photo shoot, where everyone took pictures of their own models. This had something to do with audience votes, and I still have no idea who won. The big winner was Jamall, with a black and white plaid strapless gown that was really gorgeous (I love a nice plaid!), and looked like a different dress from every angle. Sonia was out, basically for being boring. Her effort was a lovely slate strapless gown with a slit on the side. I’ve started to wonder if there’s any other kind of gown but strapless, since bridal dresses seem to have gone that route too. Sonia’s problem was that she didn’t finish the kimono that was supposed to go with it, giving the model a scarf/sash instead. In her parting speech, she said, as you get older, you realize not everything is where you shine. She was glad for the opportunity, but also glad to get back to her own thing. The twist here was that, had she not had immunity, Hester would have most likely been gone. IKR? The designer we’ve come to expect wonderful surprises from, landed a dud. She decided to take a chance on a gown she’d always wanted to make – with pasties on top. This actually might have been a daring, progressive choice. God knows, we’ve been seeing it for years at music awards shows, but not in a way you’d call elegant. However, her fabric of choice was taffeta. Making pasties out of taffeta turned out to be a bad, bad idea. The darts caused them to be pointy, and they ended up looking like, as one judge described them, lime green fortune cookies. Nice try, but no. Even the model thought the idea was poorly executed, but then again, they were attached directly to her skin with fabric glue. Yikes. The other big loser was Tessa. Not for her runway project, but her attitude toward curvy models. She got dressed down by Brandon, and quite a few people on Twitter, because of her concern in working with a larger form. She just stopped short of being genuinely insulting, but Nadine already covered that a few episodes ago. What bothers me even more, is neither Tessa or Nadine are what you’d call slim, so… If you’re going to design for people, design for people, and shut up if those people are not your ideal shape.

💍 In preparation for the upcoming new season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? – this Sunday, May 5th, at 8 pm on TLC – I checked out the preview. The station also revamped last season’s 90 Day episodes to capsulate the individual couples’ stories. I’d forgotten how irritating these people were. Like the way Pedro’s mother says his name, with the emphasis on the dro. Really, just Pedro’s mother in general is irritating. It also brought back other fond memories, such as Libby and Andrei’s idea for a wedding in Moldova getting squelched by her family. And how, every time I hear Moldova, I think it sounds like a country Groucho Marx made up. You can check out the trailer for the new season here:

📺 I can’t handle Judge Judy’s new hairstyle. It’s just not right. I thought it was a messy bun, but on Watch What Happens Live, Andy gave her a mazel for a ponytail, and showed a side view. I find this change less than mazel-worthy. I wouldn’t give it a jackhole either, but if there’s some shout out for no, just no, that’s what I’d give it. And while I’m on the WWHL subject, the hysterically funny Jackie Hoffman was a guest this week. She’s visited the Clubhouse before, and IMO is one of the best guests they’ve had on. Besides having a talent for comedic spontaneity, she has an impressive acting resumé. I was absolutely blessed to see her in Hairspray on Broadway (along with Harvey Fierstein!), but the list is quite long. If you get a chance to see her in any capacity, do.

😂 And While I’m On the Subject…

I literally lol’d when she talked about LuAnn and the fish room.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Anna comes home, and Finn asks if she had any luck. She tells him most of the reports were redacted, or there wasn’t much information in them. She couldn’t find the proof she needs to find out if she’s Robin’s mom.

Carly finds Josslyn in her office. Josslyn says she needed quiet, and asks if it was okay. Carly says, of course (🍷), and asks what she’s working on. Josslyn says, lyrics. She’s writing a song with Oscar. Carly asks how it’s going, and she says, it’s getting there. She’s trying to finish it in time for them to perform it at the Nurses’ Ball.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Ned sees Olivia crying, and asks if she’s all right. She says, far from it. She just came from Oscar’s room, and it looks more like an intensive care unit than a teenage boy’s room. It reminded her that he’s not coming to stay, but to die. Ned says he’ll be surrounded by family and people who love him. All they can do is make sure he’s comfortable. Olivia says hospitality is her specialty, and as long as Oscar and Kim are under their roof, they’ll be treated like royalty. She sees one of the housekeepers bringing in a wheelchair, but she doesn’t want Oscar to be greeted with it. Oscar walks in, and says, too late. He guesses he’s home.

On the phone, Julian leaves a message for Kim that he’s stuck at work. Kristina still hasn’t shown up. But he’s been thinking about her, and tells her to call if she can.

Neil asks Alexis how Kristina is. Alexis says, she finally tired herself out. He asks if she wants to talk, but Alexis says they’ll talk tomorrow. Neil says if she has an issue with him, they should address it now. They need to present a united front to Kristina tomorrow. Alexis says she practically ambushed Neil because she was so worried. Meanwhile, he was working with Kristina’s father behind her back. Is there a particular reason he didn’t tell her?

Jason asks Michael if Shiloh will make the secret public. Michael says he’s never done it before, but the threat is there. Sonny says Shiloh might have leverage over Kristina.

Shiloh says Sam is a PI, and the only one with the skills to find Kristina. She says so far, all they have is speculation. There are variables that have to be ruled out. She tells him that she’ll be in touch, but he says she didn’t think he was letting her do this alone, did she?

Anna says, maybe Robert is right. He thinks she’s punishing herself. Finn asks what she thinks. She says she made some terrible choices when she was younger, and regrets them as she should, but Robin was always her consolation. Little by little, she got her life together. She wouldn’t love Robin any less, but it would change the narrative of Robin’s life. What will it mean to her, having been raised by her aunt, and not her mother? Finn asks if there’s any of this Robin needs to know.

Olivia hugs Oscar, and Kim thanks them. Olivia tells Oscar to say the word when he gets his appetite back. Monica has given her full access to the kitchen. Drew says, believe it or not, that’s a big deal. Ned tells them their rooms are ready. Olivia says they’re on the first floor next to each other, with a beautiful view of the grounds and the lake. Kim and Drew leave to get their bags from the car. Oscar says, now that they’re gone, he needs to speak to Ned and Olivia in private.

Neil tells Alexis respect for boundaries is imperative. He sets the same parameters for all of his patients. Alexis asks if he treats other mothers along with their daughters, and if there’s a discount to offset the betrayal. He says he didn’t know Sonny until after she’d shared her concerns. Sonny summoned him to his office, and he was polite, but clear he was making an offer Neil couldn’t refuse. When he realized Kristina was also her daughter, it reinforced his decision to take her on. Alexis asks what they do now. Is it a conflict of interest? He says it would be unethical for him to talk about one patient’s sessions with another. Alexis says during their impromptu session at The Floating Rib, he shared some advice in a general way, but didn’t tell her that he had personal experience with cults.

Shiloh tells Sam that they’ll find Kristina together. She understands he wants to help, but she works best alone. He says that was before she was one of them. Now she doesn’t have to do anything by herself ever again.

Michael tells Sonny they have no way of knowing what information Kristina gave to Shiloh. It could have been about herself. Sonny says he would want something bigger. The worse the secret, the better the leverage and payoff. Michael says something about Kristina might be embarrassing, but not bring in money. Jason says, Kristina doesn’t know about the business, but Michael says, all the kids know what Sonny does. Jason says all Kristina knows are Sonny’s allegedly illegal acts; she has no facts or proof. Sonny needs time to process everything, and decide what to do. He thanks Michael. Michael says he has to meet Josslyn. He promised her a ride to see Oscar. He and Kim are moving into the Quartermaine’s today. He leaves, and Sonny tells Jason, the truth is, they don’t know what Shiloh has on him or what Kristina gave Shiloh as a pledge.

Anna tells Finn, if Robin is Alex’s daughter, she needs to know. If she had proof, it would be easy. The discussion would be incredibly painful, but straightforward. She couldn’t keep that secret. It would be in violation of what they mean to each other, their history, and all they’ve shared. All she has is a paranoid theory. Finn says, that’s not entirely true. There are intensive paternity tests that can determine who’s the mother between identical twins. Anna asks if it’s feasible. He says, it’s tricky and complicated, and they need the DNA from all parties. She says, Robert would never agree. Even if she got a sample without his knowledge, she’d still have to get Alex and tell Robin. If Robert found out, he’d lose his mind, and it would tear apart the family for no reason. Finn’s phone rings. He has an emergency at the hospital. Anna says she’s all right. She needs to think about all this. She tells him to go, and that she loves him. He says he loves her too.

Sonny tells Jason, the worst case is Kristina got into his business records. Jason says between Brick and Spinelli, all the records are encrypted. She’s never even got close enough to overhear anything. Sonny says, it’s a long shot, but they have to be prepared. Jason says they have two options. One is, ask Kristina. Sonny says they haven’t even started reprogramming her yet. Jason says, then they need to find out where Shiloh keeps the pledges, and destroy them. Sonny says, they need Sam.

Sam and Shiloh go to Charlie’s. Sam tells Julian that they’re trying to find Kristina; has he seen her? He says he can tell them where she’s supposed to be – tending bar – but she was a no show. If they find her, tell her she’s about to lose her job.

Carly thinks it’s great that Josslyn and Oscar are writing a song together. She’d love to hear it if Josslyn wants to share. Josslyn asks if she thinks it’s going to be that bad. Carly says she’s sure it’s not a hot mess, but understands if Josslyn wants to wait until it’s finished. Josslyn hopes they get a chance to perform it. She thinks the more Oscar has to look forward to, the better. Carly agrees. Giving Oscar a goal, and something to anticipate is good. She sees how hard Josslyn is working to stay positive. Michael comes in, and says he thought they were meeting in the lobby. Josslyn says, sorry; she lost track of time. Carly asks if this is bring your kids to work day, and would they like dinner? Michael says, they would, but Oscar is moving in today. Josslyn goes to get her stuff, and Carly says, it must be tough for her. Michael promises to look out for her, and Carly says he’s the best.

Oscar says he needs a favor from Olivia and Ned. Olivia says, anything, and he says he needs them to plan his funeral.

Anna looks through a photo album, and says she couldn’t stand if she wasn’t Robin’s mother. Maybe Robert is right, and she’s being ridiculous, but what if it’s true? She looks closer at one of the photos, and asks if it could be that simple. She gets up.

Drew asks if Kim is okay. He knows it’s difficult. Up until now, it was just her and Oscar, and now, all this family. She knows they’re just trying to help. He says if they seem demanding, or she doesn’t feel right, he’ll back up her decision. She says she’s not going to lie. It feels overwhelming, but it’s Oscar’s choice. Demanding or not, if being here helps him in any way, she’s all in.

Oscar tells Ned and Olivia, first, he doesn’t want a funeral, but a memorial. Nothing solemn or sad. He’s hoping he can trust them to see it through. Ned says they shouldn’t get ahead of themselves, but Oscar says he knows that’s not true. He wouldn’t be there otherwise. He gives Ned a paper. Olivia says there’s nothing they wouldn’t do for Oscar, but doesn’t he think his parents should be involved? Oscar says, no. They’ll be devastated, and he doesn’t want to burden them, his grandmother, or Josslyn any more than they already are. They’re going through enough. He tells Olivia, no tears. Promise him? Ned says, she cries at weddings, baptisms, birthdays… Olivia says, and Hallmark commercials. Oscar says, they’re brutal. She can’t promise no tears, but other than that, she can follow his instructions to the letter. Ned says, it’s doable. They’ll take care of it. He promises. Josslyn comes in, and asks if she’s interrupting something. Oscar says, no. They were just talking about the future.

Drew thanks Michael. Michael is glad they’re moving in. It means a lot to his grandmother. Family supports family, and Oscar is one of them.

Alexis asks Neil if he has a friend in a cult. He says, no, but he’s observed his share of their deceit and lies. She says she’s simply asking what his insight is regarding his personal experience. He says he’s not a friend; he’s her doctor. She says, got it. So is he going to help her daughter? She’s a wreck. He says he’s adding his professional insight to the process, but he’s not sharing. She needs to respect his ethnical boundaries – if she wants to see him. Hmm… Was that some kind of flirting? They did almost go out when they first met.

Julian tells Sam that Kristina is probably on an impromptu spring break, and on a plane to Florida as they speak. Sam says, that sounds like her. Shiloh asks Julian to get in touch if he hears from Kristina. Julian says, and he is…? Shiloh introduces himself. That made me laugh. Shiloh probably assumes everyone knows who he is, and maybe Julian does, but put him in his place.

Jason tells Sonny that’s why Sam has been taking classes. She’s trying to get Shiloh to trust her, so she can come up with evidence, but so far she’s come up empty. Sonny says now she has something specific to look for; the pledge. Jason says he can get into the house and look, but Sonny says what if he gets caught? Margaux dropped the charges because Shiloh told her too, but if Shiloh wants to press charges, she’ll do it. Sam is in a better position. Jason says the more time she spends with DOD and Shiloh, the bigger the chance things can go wrong, and she’ll get caught.

Jason tells Carly that he saw Michael. He said Oscar was moving into the Quartermaine’s. Carly says he just left with Josslyn. Jason asks how Josslyn is doing, and Carly says, she’s doing everything she can to support Oscar. They’re writing some lyrics, and she wants to perform with him at the Nurses’ Ball. She’s not in denial, but she’s trying to stay positive. He asks how Carly feels, and she says, it’s tough, seeing your kid in pain. It’s a parent’s worst nightmare. She wants to stay present, and be supportive, but wishes she could shield Josslyn from what’s coming. Jason says, sometimes you just can’t.

Josslyn wants Oscar’s input on the lyrics. They need to get this down before the Nurses’ Ball. Oscar looks the lyrics over. He thinks she should perform with someone else. She says, no; it’s their song. He knows, and they can finish writing it together, but she should find someone to rehearse and sing it with her. She says she’s not performing with anyone else. He says they both know he might not make it to that night. He doesn’t want let her down. Josslyn suggests they not to get ahead of themselves. They’re here right now. She thinks a chord needs tweaking. He smiles, but it’s a kind of sad smile.

Alexis goes to Charlie’s. Sam asks her if she remembers Shiloh. They’re concerned about Kristina. She hasn’t been at DOD since last night. Alexis says she just spoke to her. She wanted to give Julian a message. Sam asks, what’s going on? but Alexis says she knows her sister. She didn’t give any details. She left because she got cold feet about a big position of some kind. Shiloh asks if she said where she was going. Alexis says, no, but she’s safe. She thinks Kristina needs time to clear her head. Sam says they should get going, and Shiloh asks Alexis to have Kristina call him if she speaks to her.

Outside, Shiloh wonders where Kristina went. Sam says, with Kristina, you never know. Shiloh says he’s going back to meditate on this. (<snort>) He asks if Sam wants to join him, like it’s a hot tub, but she says she can’t. She has to pick up the kids. Like dogs, kids can be a great excuse if necessary. He thanks her, and says he trusts her commitment is deeper than her sister’s. She says, no question. He leaves, and she looks worried.

Sonny asks Neil what they’re getting into. Is it like an intervention? Neil says, sort of. He’ll serve as moderator, so Kristina feels like she’s being heard. He asks if Sonny has read the book. Sonny says he has, but doesn’t connect with it. He doesn’t see how it could convince Kristina to give up her family. Neil says, Shiloh’s prose is deliberately opaque, so the reader can project their own problems and inadequacies into it. Shiloh acts superior, and supplies answers, positive reinforcement, and wisdom. He becomes synonymous with enlightenment. Sonny asks if Neil understands this garbage, and Neil says, it’s not garbage to Kristina, and Sonny has to understand it importance to her if they’re going to get her back. Sonny says they have another problem. Kristina might have given Shiloh leverage for blackmail.

Michael asks Kim if she’s happy with the guest room. Kim says it’s more than twice the size of her apartment. Michael says, it takes a while to get used to. It’s a great house. The people who live in it are crazy, but well intentioned. When the chips are down, they have each other’s backs. Hers too. I tried to find out how many rooms were supposed to be in the Quartermaine mansion, but came up empty.

Josslyn thinks the lyrics still need work. Oscar suggests, life is short, and the list is long. Better? She says, much. They have the first verse and the chorus down. It’s coming together well. Oscar says they make a good team, and she says, they do. He asks if she wants to hear how it sounds, and picks up the guitar.

Carly tells Jason that her heart breaks for Drew and Kim. She knows the pain that’s coming. There’s nothing worse than losing a child. Josslyn is too young to lose the boy she loves, and she has to watch him die. Jason says she has to support and love Josslyn, and somehow get through it. Carly tells him, Josslyn said it’s worth pain of losing Oscar because she loves him so much; and she meant it. Carly has to find a way to honor that. Jason says she will. There’s a knock at the door. It’s Sam. She asks if Jason has a second. It’s about Kristina. Carly tells him, go.

Jason asks how it went with Shiloh. Sam says he insisted on tagging along when she searched for Kristina. Luckily, they ran into her mother, who said she’s spoken to Kristina, and that she needs time to figure things out. Jason asks if Shiloh bought it, and Sam says, thank God. He was convinced Jason kidnapped Kristina.

Julian tells Alexis, sorry, but he’s had it with her daughter. He asks if Kristina wants to quit, but Alexis says she doesn’t. Think of it was a leave of absence. Julian says, a sabbatical from bartending? Alexis says she needs the job. It’s the one stable thing in her life. He asks how this is his problem. He can’t make any promises. He’s stuck his neck out enough for her. He fronted her salary when she needed a substantial loan. Something to do with her group.

Sonny tells Neil, Kristina shared damaging information with Shiloh. Some kind of tribute or pledge before she could join the Trust. Neil says it’s par for the course to manipulate cult members that way, so they can’t leave. Sometimes it’s financial, sometimes personal, sometimes both. They’d sacrifice anything for the approval of their leader. Sonny says they need to know what they’re dealing with. What kind of leverage Shiloh has. He wants to ask Kristina, but Neil says, absolutely not.

Anna opens a box with memories in it. She pulls various items out, and tosses them aside. She finds a metal box full of jewelry. She takes out a bracelet, and cries. Finn comes in, and she tells him, it’s all right. She found it. He asks, what? and she says, proof that she’s Robin’s mom.

Carly picks up a crumpled paper that missed the wastebasket.

Oscar plays and sings. Josslyn suggests a lower pitch. He he leans back, and she asks if he’s all right. He says he got tired, and Josslyn says, it’s okay. They can pick it up again tomorrow. Oscar says, no. He wants to keep going, and plays some more. Josslyn watches him. Kim listens on the stairs. Drew comes in, and says, he’s pretty good. Kim cries, and he holds her.

Julian tells Alexis that he didn’t realize Kristina was flying off to God-knows-where when he gave her $10K. Alexis asks what he was thinking, and he says what he does for his employees is his business. She says it’s her business when the employee is her child. She asks if what he did for Kristina was actually for her, and he says, no good deed... Alexis writes a check, and he asks what she’s doing. She says, damage control. She asks him not to cash it right away; she needs to move some money around. She wants him to promise to give Kristina her job back, and he says, okay. He hopes Kristina is okay, and Alexis says, she will be.

Jason tells Sam, before Kristina joined the Trust, she had to give a pledge. Something Shiloh could hold over her head; something incriminating about her or someone she loves. Sam says, Sonny, and Jason says, it makes sense. Kristina doesn’t have any secrets that would be worth money. Sam has access to the house. Does she think she can find Kristina’s pledge? She says she has to, or Kristina will never be free.

Shiloh goes back to his office or mediation room or whatever. He opens a file drawer, and takes out Kristina’s file. For as long as it took, the pledge is pretty short. The most I can read is, Kiefer’s death was no accident. (See below for info on who Kiefer was, and why this makes no sense.)

Neil tells Sonny, Kristina is nowhere near ready talk about the pledge. He’s seen how fragile Kristina is. If she told a secret about herself, she’ll be deeply ashamed, but if she thinks she betrayed Sonny, it will shatter her. When glass shatters, it’s like a bomb; pieces everywhere. A broken glass can be repaired, but a shattered glass is destroyed forever.

Tomorrow, Franco asks if he’s under investigation, Maxie asks Obrecht what the secret is that she’s holding over Valentin’s head, and Ava asks someone how long they’ve been following her.

❓ About That Kiefer…

You know everyone had to be googling Kiefer’s death. I did too, and I can’t figure it out. The short version is, Kiefer was Kristina’s boyfriend; he beat her; Alexis ran him over; Sam and Molly found him, and brought him to GH; he died; and Alexis eventually confessed. Unless they’re changing this narrative, I don’t know how this is leverage. Everything was public knowledge. It would be really funny though, if Shiloh is just stupid, and the joke is on him.

👘 On Project Runway, the challenge was to create a female video game protagonist, but the contestants were cautioned not to make it into a superhero costume. They were to be functional, yet fashionable, which seems to be part of the criteria nearly every week. Hester was the winner, with an all-black pants number that had neon and see-through accents, including a cute vinyl backpack. Rakan was out, with a bit of a silver/cranberry polyvinyl mess that was too constricting. He was a good sport, saying it was a pleasure and a great platform, and he was proud of himself. Venny – who was disappointed in his own effort, thinking it looked like something from a church choir, although I thought it was more like from a cheerleading squad – gave the best quote: It was a great concept in my head. Yep, I know exactly how that feels.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Alexis calls Sonny from Charlie’s. She asks where Kristina is, and when can she see her? Sonny says, she’s safe. When Jason got her, she was still knocked out by whatever they gave her. Alexis says, so much for DOD being the only people she can trust. Sonny hopes Kristina sees it that way. Alexis tells him to keep her posted. Julian comes by, and asks if she’s okay. She says she’s had better days. There’s a lot at stake. He asks if she’s referring to Kristina. She just bailed on work.

Jason looks at the text he just sent from Kristina’s phone. She wakes up, and he tells her, everything is okay. She’s fine. She asks, what happened? He says she was in a bad place, and he took her out.

Still in bed, Chase sees Willow’s tattoo. She says it doesn’t bother her anymore, but he says it bothers him. It’s like Shiloh branded her. She used to look at it that way, but now it’s just a tattoo. She’s free. They kiss. He asks if she knows what he wishes, and she says, that he could kiss it and make it better? He says, something like that, and she says he’s welcome to try.

Harmony asks Shiloh if he’s heard from Kristina. He says she hasn’t called, and his calls are going to voicemail. He has Daisy out looking for her. Harmony says maybe Kristina isn’t as devoted as he thought, but he insists, she is. He made sure of that. Sam walks in, and says she’s kind of embarrassed about last night. Shiloh says she had a moment, and moved through it. Instead of calling Jason, she reached out to him. Harmony asks if she’s spoken to Kristina this morning.

At the hospital, Sonny asks Josslyn how Oscar is doing. She says she and Carly are waiting for him to wake up. Sonny asks her to get something to eat for Carly at the cafeteria, and for herself. She needs to gain strength. When she’s gone, he asks Carly if there’s been an update in Oscar’s prognosis. Carly says he’s been taken off the ventilator. He can breathe on his own, but they don’t know if he’ll ever wake up.

Terry tells Drew and Kim, all they can do is keep Oscar comfortable and wait. The machine dings, and Kim asks if Oscar can hear her. He says, hi, and Terry tells him that they took the tube out, and it will be a while before his voice comes back. Don’t worry. Drew says Josslyn is outside, and asks if he should get her. Terry says she’d like a minute alone with Oscar. She wants to examine him, and run some simple tests without any distractions, happy though they may be. Kim tells Oscar that she loves him, and kisses his forehead.

Josslyn gives Carly a smoothie, and asks if there’s any chance she can see Oscar. Drew says, a pretty big one; he’s awake. Kim adds that he’s breathing on his own. Drew tells her about the tube, and says he can’t speak, but the good news is, he can’t cut her off. Josslyn says she’ll take full advantage of that. Drew tells her that she can’t go in just yet. Terry is running some tests. Kim leaves to call Julian, and Sonny says he’s going; they’re in his prayers. Carly says she’ll keep him posted. Josslyn tells Carly, it’s not over yet. She gets to see and talk to him again, and he can talk to her. Carly hugs her.

Willow asks Chase if it’s okay that she spent the night. She’s not sure about the etiquette. This is her first relationship. She asks if it’s too soon to call it that, but Chase says he definitely considers it a relationship. He’s happy she spent the night, and hopes there are many more. She says her too, and they kiss.

Julian tells Alexis that Oscar is finally awake, and he’s going to head over there. Molly comes in, and says she’s glad Alexis is there. Alexis is surprised, considering the location. Molly says it’s Kristina’s shift, and she was hoping for a truce. At least maybe they can agree to disagree about DOD. Alexis says Julian told her that Kristina isn’t coming in. She didn’t say why. Molly asks if Alexis has seen her, but Alexis says, nope. Kristina has ghosted her too. She’d love stay and chat, but she has a meeting. She tells Molly not to worry. Her sister will show up.

Sam tells Harmony that she hasn’t heard from Kristina, but she wasn’t expecting to. She asks if something is wrong, but Shiloh thinks they just got their wires crossed; it happens sometimes. Harmony asks Sam how Kristina seemed yesterday, and Sam says, great; the best she’s seen Kristina in a long time. She seemed happy and at peace. Why? Shiloh says he does a check-in every morning, and she missed it. It’s a first. Sam laughs, and says Kristina isn’t known for following rules. Shiloh says she’s been reliable, and Sam says, everyone has an off day. She wouldn’t worry. She’s sure Kristina will turn up.

Jason gives Kristina some water. She asks, what is this place? and he says, it’s a property. She says, a safe house? Why is she there? She says, omg. She was at DOD for her ceremony. He says, it never happened, and she asks what he did. He says he let himself in. She was in the attic, and he carried her out. She says he had no right. This is her choice. Shiloh honored her. Did Shiloh know he was there? He says, no, and she says Shiloh just thinks she ran off after he chose her. How could Jason do that to her?

Terry tells Drew and Kim that Oscar is sleeping; it’s normal. Josslyn wants to sit with him, but Drew says she needs to prepare herself. This last seizure took its toll. She tells him not to worry. She can handle anything. She leaves, and Terry says she believes her. Carly steps away to give them privacy, and Terry tells Drew and Kim that Monica asked to be included. They all leave to go somewhere more private.

Jason tells Kristina that she can’t leave. She asks if she’s a prisoner. He says Max and Milo are outside, and tells her to be mad at him, not them. He can’t let her go. She says he violated her rights, agency, and free will. He’s acting superior, and kidnapped her because he’s jealous of Shiloh. Sam sees the truth. Shiloh is enlightened, and he’s on a path to nowhere. He asks if she wants breakfast, and she says the only thing she wants is her freedom. He’s known her for her entire life. She thought he was the only person who would be fair to her. He says if it had been up to him, he would have taken her out weeks ago. She says he can’t do this; he has to let her go. He says she’s right about one thing. He’s known her for her entire life, and whenever possible, he’s kept her safe. Does she think he’d stop now? She scowls at him.

Michael comes by Chase’s apartment. Does no one call ahead? He was thinking about Willow told them regarding DOD. There has to be a way to close Shiloh down. Chase says he has to be careful. He can’t consider anything illegal. Michael wonders if they can’t come up with another sting. Willow comes out, wearing one of Chase’s T-Shirts. Michael says they can discuss it later, but Chase says he’s already there. They’ll think of an out-of-the-box way to trap Shiloh.

Sonny calls Jason, and asks if there were any problems. Jason says, no. Sam got Shiloh away, allowing him time to get Kristina’s phone. He found her in the attic, and carried her out. Sonny asks how he unlocked the phone, and Jason says Kristina gave him the password. She was pretty doped up. She didn’t realize what was happening. He texted Julian from her phone, and said she wasn’t coming in. Sonny says, so as far as Shiloh is concerned, she ran off on her own. He asks how she is now, and Jason says, understandably furious. Sonny walks into the safe house, and Kristina runs to him, crying. He says, it will be all right. She says she knows he thinks he’s trying help her, but he’s doing more harm than good. She thinks she’s better off at DOD. He has to take her back. She cries, and he holds her.

Terry tells Drew and Kim, the growth of the tumor has severely compromised Oscar’s mobility. His right side has been significantly weakened, and she’s concerned he’ll have trouble walking. Josslyn goes in to see Oscar. She takes his hand, and kisses it. Terry wants to make it clear; Oscar will not regain the ground he lost. In her experience, when this stage is reached, it progresses quickly. Oscar smiles, and thanks Josslyn. He says, sorry, and she says she forgives him – this time. Terry says, other than keeping Oscar comfortable, there’s nothing further they can do, medically speaking. Monica guesses it’s time to figure out what they’re going to do.

Monica says she’s made arrangements for Kim and Oscar to stay as long as they need to. They can come today. Kim thanks her, saying it’s generous. Monica says, it’s not generosity; it’s family. Drew says they’ll have to ask Oscar first, and Monica says, of course (🍷); no pressure. He may want to stay in his own room, or go to Mount Kilimanjaro. Drew says, he told her? Monica says, Oscar’s wishes are paramount. Kim guesses the first thing they need to do is talk to Oscar about the end of his life, and ask where he wants to live the rest of his days.

A now-dressed Willow hates to say it again, What Shiloh is doing is wrong, but he doesn’t break any laws. Michael says they need a new angle. What about the money? Willow says, the people who give him money consider it an honor. The more they give, the deeper they move into his Trust. Michael says, it implies coercion. If Kristina stops paying, she’ll be expelled. It’s extortion. Chase says, good luck proving it in court. Michael says they might have no way in, but they have something – Willow.

Sam apologizes to Shiloh again. Last night, she was kind of a mess, but she thinks she made a tiny breakthrough. Shiloh says, it was a significant breakthrough. Molly comes in. She sees Sam, and asks if she’s there to check on Kristina. Shiloh says she must be Molly, and she says, he’s Shiloh. The guy who’s not running a cult. Her sister called in sick. Molly asks if Shiloh can send one of his minions to get her. He says she’s not there, and Molly says she lives there, doesn’t she? If she’s not at work, and not home, where is she? Sam says, she could be anywhere. There are a lot of other options. Molly asks if she’s not worried, and Sam says, not yet. Shiloh explains that Sam is one of his students, and Molly asks if she’s completely lost her mind.

Sonny tells Kristina that she knows he loves her, and because he loves her, he’s keeping her there. He’s keeping her safe, and she’s not going back. Kristina starts yelling, saying, he can’t do this; he has no right. He says he has every right to protect his daughter from a predator. Kristina says Shiloh understands her in a way he never could. Sonny says Shiloh is using her. She wants to talk to her mother. She knows about the law, and he’s breaking it. He says he’s broken worse. There’s a knock at the door. It’s Alexis. Sonny tells Kristina, go ahead. Talk.

Josslyn reads The Wind in the Willows out loud to Oscar, while Drew and Kim watch. Kim tells Josslyn that she’s an entertaining reader. Josslyn says, it helps having a captive audience. Drew asks for parent/son time, and Josslyn says she’ll be outside. Kim says Oscar must be tired. He is, but he doesn’t know why. All he’s been doing is sleeping. Kim tells him that they talked to Terry. The tumor is growing rapidly, which is why he’s not as strong on his right side after the last seizure. As time goes on, he’ll probably have more seizures like this. Oscar, says, okay. He guesses this means he’s finally in the home stretch. This is it. He’s really dying. Kim calls him beautiful boy, and cries, as she touches his face.

Kristina asks if Alexis went along with this. Alexis says it wasn’t her first choice. Kristina says she’s an adult. She’ll press charges, and get Alexis disbarred. Alexis says when she gets out, do that. It will be worth it. Kristina asks why they’re afraid of people who are kind, generous, and loving. Alexis says they behave falsely to lure in impressionable young people. Kristina suggests Alexis just call her stupid, but Alexis says she’s not stupid. There’s a knock at the door, and Kristina asks if everyone was invited to this kidnapping. Someone help her. Sonny opens the door, and Alexis says, Neil. Sonny says they know each other? Alexis says, you could say that. He’s her therapist.

Molly says Sam has fallen for this guy’s act. Sam says she’s investigated Shiloh, and while he has questionable things in his past, everything if legit. Molly tells Shiloh, he is good to get Sam to fall for his act. What it is, is a front. She read his book. It’s derivative, some of it is plagiarized, and the author is a textbook narcissist. Sam tells Shiloh, sorry, but Molly says don’t apologize for her. Good luck with her enlightenment. She walks out, and Sam follows her. She tells Molly to listen to her. Molly says, this place is a cult. They’re getting people to open up about their lives, and she wonders what they’re doing with the information. In the meantime, they’re taking money, and getting in between the followers and their families. Sam says nothing is going to get between her and Kristina. Molly says she’s not losing both sisters to Shiloh. She leaves, and Sam smiles.

Michael says Willow can meet Shiloh in public; she knows his tricks. She asks, then what? Record it? Shiloh is too smart to say anything incriminating. Chase says he’s seen the games Shiloh plays. He finds Shiloh manipulative, creepy, and unsettling – and he carries a weapon. He’ll help if they can come up with a decent plan that won’t put Willow near that guy. Michael says, what if she didn’t have to go near Shiloh?

Josslyn tells Carly that she can’t believe Oscar never read The Wind in the Willows when he was a kid. Carly says she didn’t either. Jax got it for Josslyn because his mom read it to him. Josslyn knows Oscar will love it; it’s an awesome book. Carly missed out. Monica approaches, saying Drew and Kim wanted them to have an update. The tumor is progressing. They’re going to keep Oscar as comfortable as possible, and hopefully he’ll have a few more alert days. Josslyn says, days. Monica says, the time is very short, and Josslyn asks if he’ll have to die there. Oscar probably won’t say anything, but it’s not what he wants. Monica says she doesn’t think so either. His parents are talking options as they speak. Carly thanks her. She leaves, and Josslyn says maybe they’ll have time to finish the book. She cries in Carly’s arms.

Michael thinks Kristina might listen if Willow talks to her alone. Willow says, members are taught that doubters are weak and less evolved. Michael says he’s done everything he can. Kristina needs to know the truth, and Willow might be the one person she’ll accept it from.

Kristina says, priceless. Her father accidentally hired her mother’s therapist to deprogram her from an imaginary cult. Nice to meet their accomplice in a federal crime. Alexis says Kristina doesn’t know everything. Neil tells Kristina that she can call him Neil, but she says she’s not doing that. He should cure her parents. They need his services more than she does. They’re keeping her here against her will. Neil says they think she’s in danger, but Kristina says they don’t want her to find peace. Neil says, all good parents want that for their kids. Kristina doesn’t care what they want. DOD is her new family. Neil asks, how so? and Kristina says she’s not doing this. It’s wasting time. She walks out of the room. Alexis says, please tell her that Kristina isn’t going out the back door, and Sonny says, Max and Milo are outside. There’s no way to get out. Alexis says, so Neil is here, and Neil says, it looks that way. He thought she said it was a bad idea, and she says she did, but Sonny ignored her advice. What a surprise. Sonny asks, what happens next? Neil says this makes his work harder, but Sonny says if Kristina had left on her own, they wouldn’t need him. Neil says he usually works with people who have left on their own, and want to get better. If she returns to DOD, full of rage and betrayal, they’re not likely to see her again.

Carly wishes she could do something to make it easier. Josslyn says, it’s not supposed to be like this. But if loving Oscar means it’s going to hurt, bring it. It’s better than not loving him. Carly says she knows.

Drew tells Josslyn that Kim and Oscar are moving in with the Quartermaines to live as a family. Josslyn is welcome any time, all the time. She thanks him, and goes back in to see Oscar. Julian holds Kim. Drew sits with Monica, and she cries. Josslyn is glad Oscar is awake, and they can still talk. She was afraid she wouldn’t even get that. Oscar says, no way. She takes his hand, and says, one more question. What does he want to do with the rest of his life? She gets in the bed with him, and they cuddle.

Willow says she’d like to help. She can tell Kristina what she knows, but when Shiloh finds out – and he will… Michael says she’s afraid Shiloh will come after her. He understands, but there are two things he’d like her to consider; him and his father. He’s the CEO of ELQ, and has more connections and resources than Shiloh. He can protect her. His father is allegedly the most powerful crime boss, and controls the city. He has a long reach, and would do anything to protect the person who helps his daughter. He thanks her for considering it, and leaves. Chase tells her if she’s worried about provoking Shiloh, or that he might figure out she had his child, don’t do it. Michael is resourceful. He’ll find another way.

Shiloh throws his book across the room. Harmony runs in, and tells him, the cup is gone. She took it. If she shows it to the wrong people… Shiloh says, she’s loyal. Harmony hopes he’s right. If she didn’t take it, someone else did. It could be bad for them. He tells her, go find it. Just find it. And look for Kristina too. She’s too valuable for them to lose.

Jason looks at the cup with the tattoo symbol on it. Sam calls, and asks how Kristina is. He says, she’s pissed. Sonny and her mom are with her. She tells him Molly stopped by DOD, and she told her that she was taking classes there. She was looking for Kristina. Jason asks about Shiloh, and she says he asked about Kristina, but she acted casual. She thinks he believes Kristina left on her own. She told him that Kristina gets like this; she’s a flake. He seemed to buy it. Jason thinks it’s going to take a while to get Kristina to believe Shiloh is not a good guy.

Alexis can’t believe Neil is helping Sonny. Sonny says Kristina was already drugged, and was about to be tattooed and literally screwed. Neil tells them they can’t be arguing. If they need to, they should go outside and get it out of their systems. Kristina is going to work hard to manipulate them, and pit them against each other. They have to show a united front, no matter what throws at them.

Tomorrow, Valentin tells Spencer that the truth always comes out, Ava asks if Jordan thinks Ryan is dead, and Laura asks Finn if he thinks Ryan is dead.

✂ Tonight, on Project Runway, the challenge was the future of streetwear. What is that anyway? The same thing as the used vintage stuff I wore when I was in acting school? Kovid was out for a lack of cohesiveness, although I loved his vest with Steampunkish accents. He had also been in the bottom three about fifteen times, even though they were only on episode five. Oddly enough, the guy who’s cried his way through every episode, didn’t shed a tear.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Epiphany expects to see Carly in her Lamaze class. Carly says she’s done this before. Epiphany says, Josslyn is a teenager. Doesn’t she thinks she needs a refresher course? She wants Carly to be as prepared as possible. This baby is important to her too.

On the footbridge, Oscar tells Josslyn the lock will always be there, even when they’re not. They kiss, and he says he doesn’t want to leave her, but he has to. She looks panicked, saying, not tonight, but he means he has to get going. He has an appointment at GH.

At the gym, Drew lifts weights, and Curtis says Drew has some intensity going on. Drew hoped it would take his mind off things. Curtis says he hoped a workout would help him too. He has some things he’d rather not think about

Kim asks Julian if he has a minute. He says for her he has two or three. He tells her that she just missed Oscar; he was there with his friends earlier. She has a smart and brave young man. She doesn’t need a reminder, but she likes hearing it. Julian says if he’d had that kind of courage, he might have turned out differently. She thinks he’s okay from where she’s standing, but he says she wasn’t there in the good old days. He’s getting ready to close, and says if she sticks around, they could have a sleepover at her place, but she says they won’t be able to do that anymore.

Jordan meets Lulu at Charlie’s. She tells Lulu that she spoke to the WSB, and they confirmed Dante is being treated in an unspecified location. Lulu wonders about talking to Anna, but that was Jordan’s second call. Anna said she has to follow Bureau protocol. Lulu appreciates Jordan checking, and tells her, that’s what Dante said when he left. He’s gone and she has no way of knowing when, or if, he’s coming back.

Laura looks through some clothes. Her doorbell rings. It’s Doc. He asks to come in.

Ava sleeps on the couch, holding a bottle. A hand caresses her, and she smiles. It grabs her throat, and she starts to choke. She wakes up, and jumps off the couch, saying, where are you? She picks up a gun from the coffee table, and yells, come out! Come out and show yourself. Come and get me, you son of a bitch.

Laura heard Doc had a good day in court. He says, Nora more than proved she lives up to her reputation, and it didn’t hurt that Lucy put in her two cents. He’d thought Lucy paid his bail, but it was Laura. He’s grateful, and she tells him that he’s welcome. He says she didn’t have to, and asks why she did.

Jordan tells Lulu that she’s sorry, and the PCPD is there for her. She wanted to talk about another thing that’s totally unrelated. The RCMP and the FBI have suspended their search for Ryan. They’re satisfied he’s dead. Lulu asks if Jordan is satisfied, but Jordan is going to assume he’s alive until it’s proven otherwise.

Julian asks Kim if they’re breaking up again. She says, not a chance. Monica invited her and Oscar to live at the Quartermaine mansion. It will be good for Oscar to be surrounded by family. He asks what she thinks, but she doesn’t know. She thinks Oscar will be happy to have his parents under the same roof; he’s never had that chance. He asks when it’s happening, and she say she still has to tell Oscar, and find out what he wants. She plans on talking to him tonight when she and Drew are with him. She cries, wondering what she’s going to do. She has to talk to Oscar about the end of his life. Julian holds her.

Curtis Jumps rope. He tells Drew that Jordan thanks him for the flowers. Drew says he’s the reason she’s there; it’s the least he can do to get past the guilt. Curtis says neither of them blame him, and Drew asks how she’s doing. Curtis says, it’s day to day. She has dialysis two days a week, and still juggles a seven day work week around it. Sometimes he wants to hide her car keys, and make her rest, but he knows that won’t fly. That’s why he’s there getting it out. He asks how Oscar is, and Drew says, not good. He doesn’t have much time.

Josslyn asks if Oscar remembers the first time they came to the footbridge. He says they had their first kiss. Josslyn says, it was a great kiss, and he says, the best. He tells her that he got her something, and digs in his bag. She says he already got her the lock, but he says, it has to stay on the bridge; this is more portable. He brings out a box, and says, don’t worry. It doesn’t go on her finger. It’s a watch, and he points out, it’s digital. That’s important, because twice a day 11:11 will come up. He heard about the power of 11:11 on a podcast. When someone you love dies, it’s the time they reach out. So when it comes up, she’ll stop and think of him. He says, it’s kind of silly, but she says, not at all. He’s going to make her cry. I’m not far behind her. He thinks of it like a shout out from him after he’s gone. She says she’ll think of him all day, every day, and he says, when it’s 11:11, he’ll be thinking of her too. She loves it. He’s glad, and says, there’s one more thing. She doesn’t think she can take much more, but he says, sure she can.

Carly tells Epiphany there’s nothing to worry about, but Epiphany says it’s a high risk pregnancy, and Carly has a history of pushing herself. Mothers often overlook their own health because they’re caring for others, and Carly isn’t doing it on her watch. Carly calls her sweet, but Epiphany says she’s not. Ask her husband. Carly says Epiphany got him on his feet after he was shot. Epiphany says, he’s as stubborn as they come, and Carly says, they broke the mold. Epiphany says, they sure did. She saw how much heart he has, and saw why Milo is his biggest fan. Bad things happen there every day, but there’s always something good waiting around the corner. Epiphany is glad Carly and Sonny get to share one of them.

Ava calls the people who do security for the gallery. She has concerns about her residence, and needs a complete security upgrade; state of the art. And locks – a lot of them.

Laura says she knew Doc wasn’t a danger to society, and it would have been cruel for him to be locked up after being locked up in Ferncliff for so long. He thanks her for her faith in him, and sparing him jail. He wants to do what he can to make it better for everyone he hurt, especially her. She understands him wanting to help his brother, but doesn’t get why he wouldn’t talk to her about any of it.

Drew tells Curtis that he has to leave for a doctor’s appointment for Oscar. They’re going to be discussing end of life care. Curtis is sorry; it’s the worst. Drew wants Oscar to have a say in where he’s staying, the care he’ll get, and what he doesn’t want. Curtis says they’re wonderful parents to Oscar, and Drew says, most days it doesn’t feel like enough, but it’s all they’ve got to give. Curtis says, whatever happens, he has Drew’s back.

Lulu tells Jordan, it creeps her out, and Jordan offers to send someone to patrol the neighborhood. Lulu says Dante’s father has someone keeping an eye on them. Just track that sicko down. Jordan promises she’ll find Ryan or his remains. Lulu says she’s going to hold Jordan to that.

Julian asks how Kim thinks Oscar will react. She can’t imagine he wants to hear anything about hospice care. He tells her that he’s there for her. She can do this. She can do anything

Oscar scrolls on his phone, and Josslyn asks what is it? He tells her, patience is a virtue, but she says it’s never been her strong suit. He finds their song, I Never Knew, and she says he really did think of everything. He asks if he can have this dance, and they slow dance on the bridge. He suddenly collapses. She tells him, stay with her and keep breathing. She grabs the phone and calls 911. She says they need paramedics immediately. Her boyfriend has a brain tumor, and they’re on the footbridge in Blackstone Canyon. They’re in a bad position.

Jordan is about to leave Charlie’s, when Stella arrives. Stella reminds Jordan that she’s having dinner with her and Curtis, but Jordan says she thought she’d give them some auntie/nephew time. She’s been hogging him. Stella says, nice try. Curtis comes in and says the two most beautiful women on the planet are waiting to have dinner with him. Stella says he’s lucky his wife is there. She caught Jordan trying to leave. He says he’ll try not to be insulted. Jordan says she had to tell Lulu the search for Ryan was called off. She has to get to work, but he says, it will still be there an hour from now. Stella adds that she has an update on Jordan’s dialysis.

Doc says he didn’t tell Laura because he knew she’d want him to turn Ryan in, and she’d be right. It was like being an addict. You hide things from the person you love the most; the one knows you best, and will call you on your actions, force you to confront them, and get help. It was never about not loving her. He loves her so much. He can’t believe he’s thrown away the best thing that ever happened to him. She says Alexis gave her the divorce papers last night, and he asks if she’s signed them. She says, no; not yet, and the doorbell rings. It’s Lulu. Laura asks if everything is all right, and she says, most definitely not. She sees Doc, and grabs a huge vase, shouting, Ryan! Stay away!

Ava is wrapping things up with the security guy, who suggests an alarm on her valuables. She tells him that she’s not worried about being robbed. She sees Julian on the security camera, and lets him in. He says, what the hell is all this? and she says precautions. Ryan is coming back, and she’s going to be ready for him.

Epiphany wants Carly to take a CVS test. (Nothing to do with the drug store.) Carly doesn’t think she needs to, but Epiphany says there’s no shortage of risks. It will test for birth defects and genetic diseases. Carly says, it’s still scary. What if it doesn’t come back clear? but Epiphany says she knows it’s the right thing. Carly says her family can’t handle bad news right now, and Epiphany asks when she became a coward. Carly asks who she’s calling a coward. She had a moment of cowardice, and she’s over it. She tells Epiphany to go ahead and order the test. Epiphany says there’s the Carly she knows.

Drew and Kim meet at the hospital. She says Oscar still isn’t there, and Drew asks if he called. Her phone rings, but it’s Josslyn. Kim tells her, slow down. She runs up to them, and says, Oscar’s been admitted. He had a seizure, and he’s in a coma. He’s on the third floor. Drew and Kim take off.

Carly’s phone rings. It’s Josslyn, who says, Oscar had a seizure, and it’s really bad. Carly asks where she is, and Josslyn says, Oscar’s on the third floor. She’s on her way there. Carly says she’ll meet her. Josslyn runs up the stairs.

Curtis says he spoke to Stella about Jordan staying at GH for her dialysis. Stella says she’d want the same thing. Jordan has no objection to Mercy, but she knows the GH staff. Stella says the problem is with Jordan’s insurance; GH is out of network, and it would be a substantial co-pay. Welcome to my world, Jordan. Curtis was hoping an experienced social worker could finesse the system.

Laura tells Lulu, it’s Doc. He says he didn’t mean to frighten her, and tells her to sit down; he should go. Laura says they’ll continue their conversation later. He hopes so. Lulu is sorry she freaked out. She saw his face, and all the pain came back. Laura understands, and tells her, everything will be all right, but Lulu says, it’s not. Nothing is ever going to be all right again. Laura asks, what’s going on? and Lulu says, Dante left again, and she doesn’t know if he’s ever coming back. She cries in Laura’s arms.

Ava asks if Julian wants a drink, but he’d rather get an explanation. She says, safety first. She has to be careful. Ryan is out there somewhere. He asks if she honestly thinks he’s still alive, and she says, they didn’t find a body because he’s not dead. He’s coming back for her. That explains the bizarre calls. Julian says, they were robocalls, but she doesn’t think so. She thinks he survived. He dragged himself out of the Niagara River. He’s hiding out somewhere, healing, and has every intention of coming back. He believes they’re soulmates. He’ll try to find her, and when he does, she’s killing him. With marksmanship and good luck, it will be slow and extremely painful. He’ll have plenty of time to suffer, as he should for what he did to her daughter.

Kim talks to Oscar, telling him, please wake up for them. Terry comes in, and says, it’s the worst episode so far. They don’t know the extent of the damage, or the ramifications. She’s ordered a CT scan. Drew asks if a coma can lead to a seizure. She says not from a single one, but if it’s constant, and doesn’t allow the brain to get oxygen. He just collapsed, and didn’t convulse. Drew asks if he’s going to wake up, and Terry says, the test will explain more. Drew says, he’ll make it.

Carly finds Josslyn. She says they were at the footbridge. They were having the most amazing night. Oscar played their song, and they were dancing. She put her head on his shoulder, and he just collapsed. She starts to cry, saying they put breathing a tube in his throat on the way to the hospital. Carly says she did good; she got him there. Josslyn says, he can’t breathe on his own. She thought they had more time. Not now. This can’t be happening. They said six weeks. Carly wishes she could make it better. Josslyn says she can’t, and Carly holds her while she cries.

Lulu tells Laura that, Dante was afraid of what he might do. He felt like he was losing control. They broke something inside him in Turkey. She could sense it when she saw the pain in his eyes; it was like he was half there. She thought it would wear off, being with family, but it didn’t. She couldn’t help him. Laura says none of it is her fault. She says she’s his wife. She took a vow for better or worse. Laura says they have no idea what happened, and he needs this time to heal from the trauma. Lulu says, what about her? She was attacked and nearly died. How does she heal without him there? She’s just pretending everything is okay. Something is broken in her too.

Stella tells Jordan she’s made some calls, and is working her way up the bureaucratic chain of command. Jordan appreciates it, even if it doesn’t work. Stella hopes it does. She likes Jordan being at GH. Jordan’s phone rings. She asks them to repeat that, and jumps up. Curtis says whatever it is can wait until after dinner, but she says it can’t. It’s about Ryan Chamberlain.

Julian tells Ava that he’ll need a key and the code. He’s moving in. She says he’s presumptuous assuming she’ll let him. He promises he won’t hover, but he’ll keep her from shooting some poor unsuspecting guy. She asks, what about Kim? and he says she’s moving into the Quartermain mansion. Monica wants Oscar to be closer to his family. Ava says, good for them; not so much for him. Until she gets confirmation that Ryan is dead – which he isn’t – Julian is welcome to stay. She could use backup.

Drew and Kim come out of Oscar’s room, and Josslyn asks, what’s going on? Kim says Terry ordered a CT scan, and they’re waiting for the results. Carly says she’s sorry, and Kim thanks her. Drew says it could have been worse if Josslyn hadn’t been there. Kim asks if it was like in Niagara Falls, but Josslyn says, no; it was different. They were dancing, and he just collapsed. There was no convulsion. In Niagara Falls, he was awake by the time they got to the hospital, and talking to her. This seems worse. Terry takes Drew and Kim aside, and Carly tells Josslyn to give them privacy. Josslyn says she needs to know the result, but Carly says they’ll tell her when they’re ready. Terry tells Kim and Drew there’s a lot of intracranial pressure. That means there’s been rapid growth of the tumor in the past few weeks. Kim asks, how bad? and Terry says, it was extremely debilitating. He’s not responding medically. Kim asks if there’s any more they can do, but Terry says she’s afraid not; she’s sorry. Drew asks if he’ll regain consciousness, but Terry can’t say for certain. Drew tells Kim that he’s sorry, but this might be it. Kim cries. I try not to.

Lulu tells Laura, when she goes to the office, all she thinks about is Ryan lunging at her. She makes excuses to work from home. It used to be a place of solace before Dante left; now it’s a shell. She doesn’t feel like herself. She’s barely sleeping, and is concerned it will affect the way she parents. It’s getting worse, and she doesn’t know what she’s supposed to do. Laura thinks she should leave Port Charles.

Doc approaches Epiphany, and says his key no longer opens his office. She says the lock was changed, and he asks where he gets a new one. She says he can’t. He should have been notified. He asks, of what? and she says the Board met yesterday, and voted to suspend his practicing privilege at GH. He takes it she approves. She says she didn’t know Mary Pat or the producer, but she knew Kiki. She was a bright light. Generous and compassionate, with enough backbone to stand up for herself and others. His brother murdered her just because he could. Because Doc hid him from the authorities. He doesn’t belong there at GH. Not anymore. I totally understand, but you’d think they’d have told him.

Curtis tells Stella that he understands the Ryan Chamberlain case is a priority. no one wants proof that Ryan is dead more than him. The dude is a psychotic bastard, and it would please him greatly if Ryan’s ass was dead. Stella says, go on, and he says, it’s Jordan’s priority. She’s determined to go on like nothing happened. Aside from her dialysis, she’s made no allowances for her condition. He’s worried it’s going to catch up with her. Stella is worried too, but he can’t stop Jordan from being herself, or doing what she thinks is right. He’d be a fool to try.

Jordan goes to Ava’s apartment. She’s surprised Ava expected her, and Ava says she has new security cameras. She can’t be too careful with Ryan out there. Jordan say she just heard from the mounted police that Ryan has been found.

Terry tells Drew and Kim, if they’re lucky, and Oscar comes around, they need to prepare themselves. He might not be the same boy he was. Josslyn watches, and says, bad news. Carly says, looks like it. Josslyn says, so this is it. He’s dying now. This is how it ends. Carly doesn’t know. Josslyn says he’s hooked up to machines with a tube down his throat. Carly says, he’s not in pain. He can’t feel the tubes. If this is his time, then it’s his time. And if it is, he’ll go somewhere beautiful, where he can be strong and free. Josslyn says she needs to tell him that she loves him one more time.

Tomorrow, Lucy say she’ll give Doc a warm welcome, Anna asks Maxie what’s going on, and Ava wants Ryan to be alive so she can kill him.

I was hoping to hear Erika Slezak was doing more than guest starring, but I guess she can do what she wants after playing Vicki for a million years.

📺 This week, Watch What Happens Live has had what I call cheap shows – i.e. a compilation of clips from previous shows. At least they went the extra yard by giving them a theme each night, with Andy sort of narrating between the clips. I admire Andy – he loved pop culture so much, he became part of it – but watching him is sometimes like watching Tom Cruise jump on that couch over and over. Tonight, the theme was OMG Moments. One segment posed the question of why Andy’s dog, Wacha, is no longer on the show. We saw clips of bad dog Wacha doing things like chewing up Maury Povich’s glasses, but I was surprised they left out the clip with Carol Burnett. Andy asked her to do her Tarzan yell, and when she did, Wacha went nuts, jumping all over her. She thought it was funny, as did I, but it still had to be mortifying. I thought it was such a missed opportunity, I almost tweeted @ him. Almost.

👗 Since it fills a void, I’ve been watching Project Runway. Tonight, the contestants were forced to go camping. Oh horrors! A spider! Good thing Nadine is gone. <snort> The challenge was to make a survival chic creation, using natural elements and found items, which sounded awesome, and it was. From the episodes I’ve seen, this was the first one where all of the designs were fabulous. Some were more practical than others, but they were all extraordinary, and I would have totally worn some of them. Especially the skirt with twig trim. Not so awesome, was having to create in the middle of the woods, where neither rain nor wind nor falling leaves stopped the designers from accomplishing their goals. When lanes collide…

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Anna tells Finn, it’s official. Alex is in Steinmaur. Finn asks if she’s having second thoughts. She is a little, but Alex wasn’t surprised, which leads her to believe Alex double-crossed her. Finn says she seemed genuinely affected. She’s also an expert at manipulation. Anna asks if Alex tried to seduce him. He says, no, but Alex did try to convince him that he’s not good enough for her.

Chase sees Willow, and says he saw her throw something away, and noticed she tore it up first. Tell him it was her letter of resignation. She says she never turned it in. She’s staying. They hug, and he kisses her. He says, sorry, but she tells him, don’t apologize; she liked it. He says he did too, and asks what made her change her mind.

Elizabeth is sitting in Kelly’s, when Nina comes in. Nina says she’s happy to hear Franco was exonerated. She knew he was innocent. Elizabeth says she’s not sure he realized that. She didn’t. Nina knows things are tense between them because of Charlotte and Aiden, but hopefully, that’s behind them, and they can create a new start. Especially now that Miss Tait is leaving.

Valentin brings Charlotte to Lulu’s house. He says they were power shopping, and Charlotte bought something for Dante. Is he there?

In the MetroCourt bar, Dante’s hand shakes as he brings a drink to his mouth. Carly tells him it’s on the house. He jumps, and she says she didn’t mean to startle him. He says it’s good to see her. She says it’s good to see him too. He’s been gone too long. He says, it feels that way.

At the hospital, Josslyn asks if, besides wanting out, Oscar wants to check things off their list. There’s Eckert’s and the ballroom at the MetroCourt. He says she put that in, but she shows him. He says they’re supposed to perform at the Nurses’ Ball, but it’s weeks away. She says the ballroom is free today. They can plan out their act, unless he’s not feeling up to it. He says he’s actually feeling pretty good. Josslyn makes him put on his alert bracelet. He thinks it looks stupid. She says it looks like a watch, but it doesn’t tell time. Oscar says, it doesn’t have to.

Kim and Drew meet with Monica. Monica says she’s read the lab results, and the tumor is becoming more aggressive. Drew says, he probably has a couple of weeks. Monica was hoping for more time, but at this point, they have to prepare Oscar for the end.

Willow tells Chase that she thought it over, and he was right. If she runs now, she’ll be running for the rest of her life. The only way to deal with Shiloh is to face him down; prove to him and herself that he has no power over her. He says he’ll do whatever he can to help her. She knows he means that in the best and most generous way, but she can’t rely on anyone else. She has to protect herself. He respects that, and her. He tells her do what she thinks is right, but know he has her back. She says, lucky her, and they kiss.

Lulu tells Valentin she’s sorry, but Dante’s not home. Charlotte says she’ll tell Lulu what it is, if she promises not to tell Dante. Their Monopoly game is missing pieces, so she got a new one. They can all play. Valentin says, she misses family game night since Dante’s been gone. Lulu says they all do. Charlotte can’t wait until Dante is there, and they can play together. She says she has a birthday party to get to, and goes to get her pink sweater. Lulu thanks Valentin, but he says, it was Charlotte’s idea. She cares about Dante, and she’s glad he’s home. She said, maybe mommy will smile a bit more now.

Carly is sorry she and Sonny couldn’t make Dante’s party. He knows they’re busy, and tells her, congratulations. She says the baby is an unexpected, amazing surprise. Dante says, a fresh start. They’re lucky to have that chance. Jason comes in, and tells Carly, everything is okay and there’s nothing to worry about. He tells Dante, welcome home. Carly says Sonny is proud that he rescued Dante, when the WSB couldn’t. Dante says, it was a complex operation. Carly says Sonny told her that he had to dress up like a guard, and as they were sneaking out, some kid showed up. He’d met the kid while he was picking someone’s pocket at the café. A server drops a tray, and Dante picks up a knife, and Jason grabs his arm.

Jason tells Dante, let go of the knife. Just let it go. Carly says, it’s okay. It’s just a service tray; it’s fine. Dante drops the knife, and says he’s sorry. He heard a crash. Jason asks if he’s okay, and he says he’s fine. Carly tells him not to worry. He’s been undercover for months. He’s allowed to be shaky. Dante says he hasn’t acclimated yet. He has to get out. Carly tells him, stay and eat something, but he says he has to call somebody. He’s sorry. He leaves, and Carly looks at Jason.

In the hallway, Dante makes a call. He leaves a message to call him back. He has a problem.

Valentin asks Lulu if she got the information he sent about the high achiever program. She says she did, but needs to go over it in depth. He says, it’s pretty straightforward, and Charlotte is more than qualified. Lulu agrees that Charlotte is intelligent, but thinks it’s too soon to be pushing her into the high achiever program. Valentin thinks she’s bored in school, and that’s why she’s getting into mischief. She says it’s the parent’s responsibility to make sure that doesn’t happen, and he says that means all four of them. She tells him she doesn’t trust him, but believes he puts Charlotte first. He says that’s why he’s there. Charlotte comes back, and asks Lulu to tell Dante that she can’t wait to welcome him home in person.

Anna tells Finn, it’s completely unrelated, but she has to meet someone. Robert comes out of the elevator, and Anna says she needs to ask a favor. He tells her, Alex has a lovely room with a view. She knows that, but needs him to do research on an old case. He’ll have to go to London and dig through the files to unearth information about an operative involved, Boris Makala. He was a scientist who was defecting and got ambushed. Robert says she was the courier, but Anna says Alex claims she was, and the memory was transplanted. Robert thinks it’s unimportant, but she says, it matters. He died in front of her – or Alex – and she needs to know which of them it was. She wants to know the truth about her own life. She leaves, and Finn tells Robert that he’s right. This thing with Alex’s memories is real, and it’s getting to her.

Nina sits with Elizabeth. She knows Willow had her supporters, but believes it’s a blessing in disguise. Elizabeth asks, how? and Nina says whatever happened with Charlotte and Aiden is over, but a more experienced teacher would have nipped it in the bud on the first day. Elizabeth asks if Willow is leaving at the end of the school year, but Nina says she was handing in her resignation yesterday. Elizabeth says, it makes no sense. Willow is meeting with her there. Why would she do that if she was planning on leaving?

Willow has to get going, and Chase says this is him not infringing on her independence. She’s glad to know he means it. He says he never wants her to feel pressured. She can tell it’s not his style. He says, she knows his style? She says she’s learning it little by little. He’s glad she’s staying. She is too.

Cameron comes by Oscar’s room, and asks if they’re interested in a magazine. Oscar is surprised he’s pushing the library cart, and Cameron says, community service takes many forms. This might be the last time they see him as a free man. Oscar asks if he wants them to come to court with him, and explain what happened. Cameron says he’s learned Judge Carson isn’t interested in excuses. He’s going to tell her that he’s making up the hours, and throw himself on her mercy. Josslyn is sorry, but Cameron says he was the one who wanted to get out of Port Charles. Before he takes off, Oscar needs to tell him something.

Monica asks if they’ve discussed anything, and Kim says Terry brought it up a few months ago, but it was too soon. Drew says when he hears the term, palliative care, he thinks of an old person who needs help because they’ve used their life up. He doesn’t think of a kid. Monica says, it’s really unfair. She’s seen the tests. The tumor is already beginning to affect his cognitive awareness and emotional responses. Kim’s phone dings. She has a patient to attend to, and Drew tells her, it’s okay. She leaves, and Monica says she knows he’s being strong for Oscar and his mom, but how’s he doing? Drew says, okay, but she says, no, he’s not. He wouldn’t be human if he was okay.

Elizabeth tells Nina that Willow helped Aiden. it’s hard to believe she resigned with no notice. Nina says she and Valentin stopped by the classroom, and Willow told them herself. Willow comes in, apologizing for being late. Nina is sure they have a lot to talk about, and sits with Valentin. Willow tells Elizabeth that she’s just been handling some stuff. Elizabeth asks if it’s true she’s leaving Port Charles Elementary, but Willow says, no. She’s not going anywhere.

Chase visits Lulu, and she thanks him. He asks what he did, and she says, saved her from reading Valentin’s email about the high achiever program. Valentin wants to enroll Charlotte, and Lulu agrees she’s ready. She wanted Charlotte to be a normal child in a normal classroom, but doesn’t want to deprive her of a shot at an Ivy League school. Chase thinks she has a few years to worry about that. She doesn’t want another fight with Valentin, but Chase says she has backup, now that Dante is home.

Anna meets Dante. She’s glad to see him. They hug, and she asks, what’s going on? He tells her that he took his grandfather to breakfast at the MetroCourt. They talked, and he sees an interesting man slipping away, but felt that Mike could really hear him. Maybe his guard was down with him. He took Mike back to Turning Woods, and should have gone straight home, but stopped for a drink at the MetroCourt. He was talking to Carly and Jason, and heard a loud noise. The next thing he knew, he and Jason were wrestling over a knife. He doesn’t remember what he did, but Jason stopped him. Anna asks if he has PTSD, and he says PTSD is the least of his worries. He thinks he’s been brainwashed.

Jason tells Carly that he doesn’t think Dante realized what was going on. Sonny knew he was struggling. Maybe she should tell him to back off, and give Dante a chance to solve his own problem. Carly asks what Jason was thinking, taking a swing at Shiloh? He says he didn’t take a swing; he tried to strangle him. He wanted Shiloh to know how easy it would be for Jason to make him disappear.

Anna says, can you hear the waters whispering? and tells Dante it was her trigger phrase when she was brainwashed early in her career. It’s such a violation of who are as a person. You can’t rebel because you don’t remember. Dante says he remembers bits and pieces of Raj’s interrogation techniques. Raj wanted to break him down, and prove he was trustworthy. He has tasks he doesn’t know about. When they feed him the trigger phrase or image, he’s given the mission, and it’s over. He doesn’t remember a thing. He thinks he’s supposed to kill someone. She asks if he knows who, and he says, no, but he had a dream that he was loading a gun, and saying, he will complete the mission. Then Lulu walked in. She wasn’t supposed to see, so he shot her point blank. Then he was awake. He told himself it was just a dream, and to get himself under control, but he can’t. He’s not in control, and it’s getting worse.

Chase says he should have texted Lulu first, but she says he’s always welcome. He saved her from Valentin’s insight on their daughter’s future. He was wondering about Dante, and when he’s coming back to work. She says, he hasn’t had a chance to think about it, and Chase says, that doesn’t sound like Dante. The only thing he loves more than being a detective, is her and the kids. He tells her good luck planning her daughter’s academic career, and leaves.

Elizabeth tells Willow that Nina said she was leaving. Was it wishful thinking? Willow says she did tell them that she was dealing with a personal situation. Elizabeth asks if there’s anything she can do, but Willow says she’s handling it. She realized quitting a job she loves won’t solve anything.

Nina tells Valentin that Willow and Elizabeth look like two porcelain dolls. Women who act helpless and frail, are really passive/aggressive and manipulative. When someone like her calls them out, she’s being a mean and insensitive bully. She teases him, asking how he can be with her, and he says, some men have taste, and kisses her.

Elizabeth tells Willow about the party, saying, it’s not as overt, but every kid was invited except Aiden. Willow says, Bianca is his best friend. Elizabeth says, according to Bianca’s narrow-minded mom, ex best friend. It’s about what people perceive as his gender identity. If that’s not bullying, she doesn’t know what it is.

Carly says Sam left Danny alone with a cult leader who could have manipulated him, and Jason says that’s why he wanted to make sure Shiloh didn’t approach Danny again. He stopped Shiloh in front of Kelly’s, and told him to stay away from Danny. Shiloh got in his face, talking his cult crap, and baiting him. He let Shiloh get closer, and told Shiloh not to touch him. When he did, he took Shiloh down. Shiloh decided to forgive him – Sam was there watching, of course – but now Shiloh knows Jason can take him out any time. He’s far from beaten, but he knows to be afraid. It’s a good place to start.

Cameron says, assuming he’s not shipped off to juvie, does Oscar want him to get his car? They took the bus back, so it’s still in Niagara Falls. They can do a road trip; legit this time. They can take the bus, and really go see the Falls. Josslyn says, it would be great but… Cameron says Oscar doesn’t trust him behind the wheel. Oscar says he trusts Cameron, but it’s just that he can’t take any more road trips. Argh! I hate that they’re manipulating me into feeling terrible about this, and tearing up over something other than Mike.

Monica gives Drew her award for years of meritorious service. She wants him to throw it against the wall, or out window, but don’t hit anyone. He needs to break something before the pain bottled up inside him breaks him. He thanks her, but it won’t give Oscar more days or help him say goodbye. Monica wishes she had some advice, but she doesn’t. He just has to see it through when the time comes. Drew says, the time is here. Oscar is dying, and there’s nothing he can do about it. Monica says he can still talk to Oscar, and touch him. Treasure every moment, no matter how brief. Kim comes back, saying, false alarm. Monica would like to suggest something. She knows they want to have better care for Oscar when he can’t care for himself. Drew says Oscar made it clear that he didn’t want to spend his last days in a hospital bed. Monica says she wouldn’t want that either. He should be surrounded by the people who love and care about him, and will see him through every step. She’d like Oscar to stay at the Quartermaine house.

Robert wants to speak to Finn about Anna. She’s an incredible woman, but emotionally damaged. She can’t fall in love. She’ll never ask for a commitment. She won’t ask you to make promises. Finn appreciates the information, but none of it is Robert’s business. Robert says, it is, because of the family. The family wants her happy. Robert does too. Finn has the ability to make her happy, but just as it’s starting to happen, her past comes back to bite her, and she pushes him away. Beat her to the punch. Finn asks if Robert wants him to break up with Anna. Robert says, he is an idiot, isn’t he?

Anna says the good part is that Dante recognizes something was done to him. Dante says, the first step is admitting you have a problem. Anna says, the next step is more painful. You have to address it. Dante asks, how? He doesn’t know what he was programmed to do or what the triggers are. What happens if an innocent person gets hurt, or someone he loves is caught up in it? She says he needs to be treated by experts in a secure environment. There’s an estate in Wales; it’s nice, remote, and restricted. You’re not locked in a cell, but have to stay on the grounds. He says it sounds like she’s had personal experience, and she says she was there. It’s like rehab, but with an open-ended stay, and they practice Gestalt therapy. Dante is concerned that he’ll be reprogrammed for their objectives, but Anna says they’ll give him the tools to help set him free of Raj’s influences. He has to confront who he is, as opposed to who he thought he was. He thinks he should leave as soon as possible, and Anna says she’ll make the arrangements.

Elizabeth has to get going. Willow is glad Elizabeth told her about the party, and says she’ll monitor the situation in the classroom; Aiden has her support. Elizabeth says, it means everything to him. Willow says, it’s not enough. She wants to get more involved in the community, and if certain people don’t like it, too bad. Elizabeth is glad she’s Aiden’s teacher, and thinks she’s a good example for him.

Nina tells Valentin that she can see a judgmental smirk a mile away. Willow approaches their table. She wants them both to know she’s staying on. Nina asks, what happened to the emergency? and Willow says, it’s been addressed. She hopes everyone will consider this a restart. Nina says, everyone? Valentin says Willow has expressed a clear bias against his fiancé and daughter. Willow says things got heated, and she overstated. Nina says Willow told her Charlotte didn’t stan a chance with Nina in her life. She’s messed with the wrong stepmother. She’ll see to it that Willow’s days at the school are numbered.

Kim knows that the Quartermaines would offer care and comfort, but… Monica says they have plenty of room, and she wouldn’t dream of separating them. Kim and Drew are invited as well. Kim says it’s a lovely gesture, but she can’t be the one to accept. It has to be Oscar’s choice. Monica says she’s right. It’s Oscar’s journey, and he gets to decide what path to take.

Oscar explains to Cameron that he’s in the end stage. He’s going to die in a month; maybe sooner. Cameron asks if the doctors are sure, and Cameron says they were told last night, but honestly, he can feel it. He tires easily, and his coordination is shot. He got dizzy when Josslyn was tying his shoes. Cameron asks if they’re doing something or just going home. Oscar says they’re going to Eckert’s; does he want to come with? Josslyn says he has court, but Cameron says it’s in a half hour, and Eckert’s is near the courthouse. This might be his last sugar cookie for a long time. He asks if they’re walking or Ubering. Oscar says they’ll start walking, and Uber if they need to.

Finn tells Robert that he said Anna would push him away unless he beat her to the punch. Robert says he meant putting his heart on the line. Tell her that you love her, and her background doesn’t matter. Whatever goofy thing pops in his head. She’s not groveling; he has to do it. Anna returns, and Robert tells her that their granddaughter won some prize, and wants to tell her in person. He leaves, and Anna tells Finn that he’s a strange and lovely man. She adds, never tell him that she said that, and Finn says her secret is safe. He kisses her, and she asks, what was that for? He asks if there has to be a reason, and she says, no.

Dante comes home. He looks at the folded up welcome home sign. Lulu asks if something is wrong, and he says, it’s hard to explain. Lulu tells him to take his time. He says he’s out of time. He has to leave.

Tomorrow, Obrecht tells Valentin that he should have heeded her warning, Laura doesn’t want a divorce, and Ava is getting phone calls from beyond the grave.

💰 Tonight was the season finale of Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, and I’m happy to say, Tracy was given the job as US Ambassador for Royal Atlantis in Dubai. She had an open house for brokers, who were impressed, thereby impressing the owner. I can’t imagine a more amazing, and lucrative, real estate opportunity. Josh Altman sold a one-bedroom house with a twenty-five car garage, for $7.3 million, making it the most expensive garage in LA. Josh Flagg had to learn the meaning of compromise when, after wanting a house based only on his own taste, husband Bobby wondered when he got to be happy. In his interview, JoshF admitted to knowing he was selfish because he feels entitled, but is dealing with it in therapy. Like Dante said above, admitting you have a problem is the first step, so my hat’s off to him for that. Next time and season, the Josh’s co-list a property to hedge their bets, and guarantee themselves a listing. That should be interesting.

👄 Watch What Happens Live is going on one of its many hiatuses, and will be back on Sunday, April 7th.

👗 I’ve kind of been watching Project Runway. While I love fashion, I’ve never been that interested in this show, but it’s on when I’m waiting for the next program, and nothing else is competing. It’s made me glad I’m not in the business, since designers can be more temperamental than Housewives. Or at least give them a run for their money. Tonight, Nadine was asked to pack her sewing kit and go, and I said, good riddance. The only reason I’m even posting about this show is that, while emotions can run high, it’s mostly crying or pitching a hissy fit about a bolt of tulle. This woman was nasty. She tried to blame her bad design on the model – IMO the top of her pantsuit was great, but the pants part was a mess – saying the model disrupted the flow somehow because she was curvy. In case you didn’t know, that’s fashionspeak for fat and/or big. This wasn’t the first time a designer has been thrown off by their model’s stature, so you’d think they’d keep that in mind in the planning. She was mean to her model from the jump, getting impatient with how she walked. Even the judges were horrified at how she spoke regarding this unfortunate woman who had to work with her. As soon as she realized she was on the bottom, the attitude really came out. By the time she went to the back, to await her fate, Nadine got even worse. She said, and I quote, them bitches can send me home. After being told she was out, she didn’t even wait for Karlie Kloss to say her piece, and marched off the stage. To her credit, she did admit that it was a bit much for her, and she just wasn’t cut out for it. She got that one right.

🗽 I Love It Too…

Downton Abbey’s creator talks about my favorite city. On a side note, I didn’t know Cindy Adams was still alive.

🎤 This also gave me my favorite quote this week, right from the streets: April holidays are coming. You recognize old age when your wife gives up sex for Lent — and you don’t even notice it until Labor Day. – muttered by a senior

🎠 Someone Stop the Merry-Go-Round…

Suckerfish Hoppy needs to make like Elsa and let it go. I’m honestly surprised he hasn’t been court ordered to seek help.

🚫 Andy Nixes the Rumor…

I’d rather see reruns of The Simple Life anyway. Or a video of her dogs in their two-story house.
