What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Jason steps into the elevator with Franco. Franco says he’ll take the next one, but Jason says no he won’t. He stops the elevator, and wants Franco to tell him about his job at Ferncliff.

Mary Pat tells Carly that she’s had a lot of difficulties with her; she’s the most challenging kind of patient, refusing to accept she’s there. Dr. Lazarus has done wonders for others like her. She leads Carly into a room with ECT equipment. Carly freaks, and Dr. Lazarus says the machines appear intimidating, but they’ll change everything.

Chase and Sonny use Jordan’s office to watch the video streaming from Michael’s car. Jordan asks if Sonny is comfortable, and he says he’ll be more comfortable when Nelle is behind bars. Chase thanks Jordan for the leap of faith, and tells Sonny everything is under control. Sonny asks what if Nelle reaches out to someone else, but Chase tells him to trust Michael. Nelle truly believes the car is rigged to crash. As soon as Michael gets her confession, it’s over.

Nelle tells Michael that she didn’t want to be a high-maintenance pregnant woman, and she thinks she hasn’t been for the most part. She’s kept cool, except for the health scares, which were out of her control. They were caused by the earthquake and Carly. She tells him to slow down; she’s not going into labor, just seeing a lactation specialist. She appreciates him going the extra mile. He asks if she hasn’t figured out that he’d do anything for her.

Maxie visits Nina in the interrogation room. She called in some favors. Nina says Maxie doesn’t need to wait with her, but Maxie says they need to talk. She wants to know how Nina let Obrecht rope her into kidnapping Peter.

Finn sits with Peter. Peter says, yes, he’s alive. Finn says good thing he never smoked. His lungs look good. There’s no permanent damage, and he doesn’t need the mask to sleep. He’s a lucky man. Peter says, thanks to him. Finn ran into a burning stable to rescue him. Anyone else would have let him die. Finn says, except for his mother.

Obrecht is sitting, cuffed and wearing orange, at the station. Robert arrives, and says, well, well, well. Dr. Obrecht, I presume. Cuffed and ready for prison. What a wonderful sight.

Jason doesn’t want trouble. He just wants Franco to tell him what he needs to know. He asks if Franco has an ID, and Franco says, of course. He knows it must be about Carly. He thinks they need to adjust her meds. She seemed like she was hallucinating. Jason asks where his ID is, and Franco says, in his pocket. He doesn’t think Jason can pass for him, but Jason says Franco is going to get him in.

Carly says she doesn’t want treatment, but she’s too weak to resist. Mary Pat gives the doctor the paperwork, saying, signed, sealed, and delivered. Dr. Lazarus tells the orderlies to put her on the table. Carly protests, and Mary Pat asks if she should stick around, but Dr. Lazarus says he’ll take it from there. Carly says she doesn’t want to do this. Mary Pat leaves, and smiles in the hallway.

Jordan sees Robert, and says she heard he was on his way. He says he got the first flight when he heard Peter was in custody. Obrecht too. He tells Jordan, good work. She says Obrecht is due for immediate transfer, but Peter is still recovering at the hospital. He asks if he can have a few words with his old friend. Jordan says, with all her insane behavior, she’s in deep grief over the death of her child. He says he’ll go easy on her, and Jordan says it’s up to him. He site with Obrecht, who tells him, the word of the day is schadenfreude; enjoy it. He says she left him in a coma for twelve months, and nearly had him convinced his daughter was dead. She says, karma is cruel justice. She understands his pain, but his child is alive; hers is dead. Robert says he used to think of ways to get even, but now, he doesn’t even want to kill her. She’s going to pay the ultimate price, and spend the rest of her life in prison.

Nina says she’s sure Maxie must have ideas. Maxie says she’s the daughter of the former police commissioner, and was the wife of a detective. Nina says the current commissioner is going to ask her questions, and the less Maxie knows, the better. Maxie understands, but before she goes, she wants to thank Nina for saving Peter.

Peter wonders why Finn would risk his life. Because of his feelings for Peter’s mother? Why is he so interested in the case? Smoke inhalation isn’t exactly an infectious disease. Finn says he realizes Peter doesn’t have warm and fuzzy feelings for Anna. Peter says she abandoned him, and never looked back. Finn says that’s not exactly true. She thought he went to a loving family. Valentin is the one who gave him to Faison. He’s entitled to his righteous anger, but Finn thinks he knows deep down that she did the right thing, and made a loving sacrifice. Peter knows nothing of the kind; a sacrifice involves love. Finn says he knows Peter has hated her his whole life, and thinks he doesn’t know how to stop. Peter says most people think of holidays when they hear the word family. He thinks of pain, anger, and betrayal, but Finn wouldn’t know about that, would he?

Nelle says they just passed the street they were supposed to turn on. Michael says he’s not going to the hospital. He thinks they should go to Sawyer first, then the hospital. Nelle remembers Chase telling her that after fifteen miles, the controls will fail. She suggests Michael let her out, and she’ll call a car. He tells her that she’s being ridiculous. There’s no way he’s going to do that. At the station, Sonny sees the look on her face, and says she knows the car is rigged, and wants to put his son in the ground. Chase says that’s not going to happen. Thanks to Michael, they’ll be putting her away for good. Sonny doesn’t know what he was thinking. He told Carly to let it go, and she knew it wasn’t good. Now a psycho is planning to murder his son. Chase says there’s no shame in getting played by Nelle. He thought there was some good in her. She was so bitter because of the hand life dealt her, that she turned into a master manipulator. She could give a master class in deception. No one sees it until it’s too late. Sonny says, only Carly.

Nina says Maxie is giving her too much credit. Maxie says she kept Obrecht from killing Peter, and she’s willing to bet Nina kept him alive the whole time. Nina says she’s not a saint in any of this. She asks if Maxie still cares about Peter. Maxie says, not at all, but that doesn’t mean she wants him dead. Nathan was Nina’s brother, and in a weird way, Peter is too. He’s James’s uncle. She’d never let him have s role in James’s life, but he’s better off not finding out his grandmother killed his uncle. In the first two months of his life, there’s been enough death. She wants to forget the anger and revenge, and focus on living. Nina thinks James is lucky to have such an incredible, wise mom. Whatever happened, Maxie doesn’t approve, but she doesn’t want Nina going down for this. Nina thinks she’ll be okay. Peter didn’t name her as an accomplice.

Peter tells Finn it looks like he struck a nerve, and asks if he has a deep, dark skeleton in his family closet. Finn says every family has a skeleton. Peter can lie in bed feeling sorry for himself or realize he has a second chance. He’s free from Faison, and his mother wants to connect. He tells Peter to get over himself and be part of life. Peter asks where his mother is. His father is dead; where is she? Maybe she only wants to connect when it’s convenient. She gives out love on her terms, with conditions and caveats. Finn says Peter knows nothing about her. Maybe he should use his recovery time to give it more thought. Robert comes in, and says he doesn’t think Peter will be hanging around. On behalf of the Bureau, he’s there to take Peter into custody.

Carly doesn’t want to do this. The doctor says she’s becoming agitated, and asks when her last dose was. He thinks it’s close enough, and tells her to try and relax. Carly wants her lawyer, Sonny, anything but the drugs. Dr. Lazarus gives her a shot.

Franco and Jason are at Ferncliff. Franco says he got Jason in there; Jason can take it from here. Jason says he’s going to need him. Franco says, for what? and tells him not to say a backup. He’s a hostage in this situation. Jason tells him, Elizabeth said he changed. Prove it. Franco asks what Jason wants him to do, and Jason says for now, stay there. Jason moves on down the hall, and Franco asks himself, why, why, why did he get on that elevator? Jason pulls a gun on Mary Pat and the orderly she’s with. Where’s Rupert? Did he quit? Jason asks where Carly is, and Mary Pat says, this is a crime, and tells him that he’s committing a felony. She lets him know what room Carly is in, and Jason opens the closest door, locking Mary Pat and the orderly in. Franco says, it’s going well; he’ll wait in the car. Jason says they’re not finished yet.

Chase apologizes to Sonny for not doing more when Nelle was gaslighting Carly. He thought she had a psychological problem because of the death of her son. Now she’s in an institution that she doesn’t need to be in. He takes his share of the responsibility, and will tell the judge. Hopefully, Carly will be released. Sonny says Nelle played his whole family. He and Michael pegged her as an opportunist, but Carly knew she was a killer. He didn’t know what she was capable of. Chase says now they do, and they’re ahead of the game. Sonny says it’s not a game to him. Not when his wife and son’s lives are on the line.

Michael has driven eight miles. Nelle says she doesn’t need the lollipops, but he says, yes, she does. She suggests they go to the hospital first; the specialist will be off duty soon. He says she’s married to a member of the board. The hospital will be open in thirty minutes; the store might not be. Once they get on the highway, he’ll step on the gas. She tells him to pull over. If they don’t pull over, they’ll crash.

Finn asks if Robert has official documents, and Robert hands him some papers. He says with the exception of fraud and breaking out of jail, Peter’s crimes fall under the jurisdiction of the Bureau. He says the reunion is postponed, and Finn says Anna doesn’t know. Robert tells him to release the prisoner into his custody, but Finn says Peter isn’t a prisoner to him. He’s a patient, and Finn can’t sign a release at this time.

Maxie guesses since Nina saved Peter’s life, he’s returning the favor. Nina wonders if it has something to do with getting back into Maxie’s good graces. Jordan comes in, and asks who authorized Maxie’s visit? Maxie says she let herself in; Nina is her sister-in-law. Jordan says they still have protocol. Maxie leaves, and sees Obrecht.

Jason wants Franco to keep watch for ten minutes. Franco says Mary Pat is the supervising nurse, and she’ll be missed. Jason says, for the next ten minutes, if anyone comes by, send them in the other direction. Franco suggests he just knock them over the head, and throw them in another room. Jason says, if he wants. Franco says Jason doesn’t care whose life he ruins, as long as he saves Carly. It’s the first time he likes his life, and can’t afford to be a convict. Jason leaves, and Franco checks the time on his phone.

Dr. Lazarus says it’s a precaution. Any degree of involuntary movement will disrupt the treatment. It’s for her own protection. Carly is prepped, and they put one of those rubber things in her mouth.

Jordan apologizes to Nina for taking so long; it’s been busy. She sees Nina doesn’t have a lawyer. Nina says she hasn’t called one. Jordan says, last night, she was adamant about not saying a word, not she’s ready to talk about what happened in the cabin? Nina says, nope. She decided to skip hiring a lawyer, and just sit there silently. Unless Jordan is pressing charges. She heard Peter’s statement, and she’s not contradicting it. Jordan says a quarantine was staged on Spoon Island. It’s not looking good for her. Nina says holding her is a waste of time. Jordan has nothing on her, and they both know it. She’ll sit there and wait for the clock to run out. Nina asks if Jordan and Curtis have set a date.

Maxie approaches Obrecht. Obrecht tells Maxie that she’s being transferred to Pentonville, where she’ll await trial. She’s considered a flight risk, and she’s a repeat offender. Obrecht is sorry she  failed Maxie. Maxie says, in what way? Obrecht says she kidnapped Peter for her and James. She wanted to get justice for Nathan, and some measure of closure. Maxie says, don’t say it; don’t even think it. Obrecht didn’t do this for them. Not even for Nathan. She did it for herself.

Robert says Finn might want to reconsider. This could be construed as obstruction of justice. Finn says Peter is his patient, and inhaled a near fatal amount of smoke. Does he look okay? He believes in taking extra precautions, so there are no unexpected complications. Robert asks how long these extra precautions will take. Finn says it could be a day or a few weeks. He doesn’t know. Robert says, as long as takes for Anna to get back?

Sonny takes to the screen. He says, easy. Get her on the line, and reel her in.

Michael tells Nelle that they’re not going to crash. He’s a good driver. She says she’s telling him if he doesn’t pull over, they’re going to crash. He says he’ll call the hospital when they get to the store. She grabs the steering wheel, and says, the car is rigged. Chase sabotaged it. Michael asks, why would he do that? and she says Chase wants to kill him. He tells her that her third trimester hormones are acting up. Chase wouldn’t try to kill him. She says if he doesn’t pull over, they’ll both die. The baby will die. The car is rigged because she asked him to do it.

Robert says Finn only turned up for part of reunion. Imagine what would have happened if Jason hadn’t shown up to prevent the shooting. Finn says Anna is in Berkeley, trying to make things right with Robin. Robert tells him not to bring his daughter into it. Finn says he’s not signing the release, and to take it up with the hospital administration or the court. Robert says, don’t think he won’t. He tells Peter, see you around, Henrik, and slams out.

Maxie knows what’s going on in Obrecht’s head. She wanted vengeance. She wanted Peter to feel the same pain. Obrecht admits she does. Maxie says she and Nina needed closure. Now they’ve got it. Obrecht says she’s going to prison, and Maxie says, after nearly torturing Peter to death. Did it fix any of this? Does she at least feel better? Maxie knows how much she loved Nathan, and it’s not what he would have wanted. All she accomplished was taking herself away from them. Her son lost his grandmother, and possibly his Aunt Nina, if she gets caught up in it, and he needs them both.

Jordan likes Nina, and appreciates her friendship with Curtis, but it’s not a game. She needs to start to take it seriously. Nina asks if Jordan is letting her go, and Jordan says, for now. The investigation is still going on. If Nina wants her advice, hire a lawyer.

Jordan sees that Obrecht’s ride has arrived. It might help her sentence if she cooperates. If she had an accomplice, now would be the time to say something. Obrecht says she did it as she came into the world – alone. She tells Maxie to make sure James never forgets his father, and his oma loves him very much. She hugs Maxie, who tells her to take care. Obrecht cries. I almost cry. She’s taken away.

Watching the screen, Chase says he almost got her. Sonny says, come on, son, like they’re watching a game. Michael tells Nelle that she’s not making sense. She says she didn’t want it to go this far, but he didn’t leave her much choice. Michael says, she hired Chase to kill him? She says he needs to pull over, but he speeds up. She says he didn’t marry her for love. He wanted to control her and get the baby. She knows about the will, and heard his conversation with Jason. Michael says, so she devised a plan to kill him over a possible custody dispute? She says he acted like she was disposable. She’s not letting it happen again. He asks if she killed Zack, and she says she had to; he was weak. If she’d waited, his family would have come between them, and they wouldn’t have gotten married. She didn’t want him dead, but didn’t have a choice. Michael says he makes his own choices too. Nelle screams for him to pull over. Chase says they finally got her.

Jordan tells Nina that she’s lucky her aunt backed up her story, but she’s still a person of interest. She says, and no, they haven’t set a date yet. She leaves, and Maxie asks if Nina is okay. Nina says she’s spent so much time being consumed by guilt, suspicion, and revenge. For first time since Nathan died, she doesn’t know what’s next. That’s the hard part; getting on with the rest of their lives. Maxie takes her hand.

Peter says Finn must have it bad for his mother. Finn would like to think he’s do this for anyone who was separated from their child. She made a tough decision, and suffered the consequences. He does care about her. Finn’s phone dings. It’s a text from Anna thanking him for looking after Peter, and saying things have gotten complicated. Come to Berkeley. Finn says be bought Peter extra time. Use it wisely. He leaves, and Peter scowls. He looks kind of like Tim Allen in The Santa Clause.

Outside, Finn texts back that he’s on his way.

Robert calls Robin, and demands she put her mother on the phone. She says she hasn’t seen her mother, and Robert says she’s supposed to be with her.

Sonny says they’ve got the confession on tape. Shut it down. Chase says Michael wants her to admit Carly didn’t push her. Chase thinks he can do it.

Michael says Nelle lied to his face about Zack, and everything else. Now she’s trying to kill him? She took everything from him and his family. HIs mom was right. Nelle was the one who made her believe that his brother was still alive. Nelle wanted her out of the way. Nelle says she’ll tell him everything; just pull over. First, Michael wants to know if Carly pushed her. Nelle won’t say until he pulls over, but he says, say it. Did she push Nelle? Nelle looks out the front window, and yells, look out! They crash. At the station, the screen goes black.

Franco asks himself what he’s doing. He’s marrying the most incredible woman on the planet, and they’ll live happily ever after. Assuming he’s not awaiting trial for helping to break out a mental patient. He’s trying to do the noble thing. The ruthless killer with the Botticelli eyes is a good friend. Not to him. Jason has plenty of reason not to like him, but his broad shoulders should be strong enough to handle a brain tumor. Franco wasn’t responsible, and he’s trying to prove he’s changed. He’s putting his life on the line for the last time. He looks at his phone and says, nine minutes.

The final preparations are made for Carly’s treatment. Dr. Lazarus says, it all seems alarming, but she’s receiving a gift. Anger and violence will be a thing of the past. Her whole perspective will change. Jason busts in with a gun, saying, nobody move.

On Monday, Jordan wants to know what’s going on, Franco tries to escape, and Jason tells Dr. Lazarus to shut the machine off right now.

🍹 And how about those Southern Charmers? Kathryn Dennis has definitely won the reality queen crown. I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone do such a 180, and claim their piece of the world the way she has. It also made me love Patricia Altschul again. Both are true ladies, and also big enough girls to apologize. I’ve loved the show from the beginning, but this was the best season yet. Kathryn was never a true villain, but omg, Ashley. And Thomas. Kathryn also gave one of the best quotes – although I’ll have to paraphrase – when she told Ashley that she was really out of touch with the fact she’s a complete a-hole. I just had to repeat it again. It was a masterpiece reality moment. I don’t often follow C-list celebrities on Twitter, but when I do, they’re usually from Southern Charm.

🔀 BTW, I’ve  been confusing my spin-off Charms. New Orleans is the one where the couple with the little dogs broke up. They were my main reason for sort of watching. Savannah lost Ashley, who was ditto. I was fascinated by how in denial she was. She insisted she was just one of the guys, and took off her clothes at every opportunity, proving to everyone that she wasn’t. Needless to say, the girlfriends of the guys she was one of, were not too happy. The villain of the piece, I wonder if she saw herself for the girl code breaker she was, and chose to opt out for that reason. I’m sticking with the originals, but keeping the other two in my periphery.

💍 90 Day Fiancé has moved into Tell All Territory, where lots of boxing gloves have been put on. On What Now? Danielle continues to stalk Mohamad, but also won’t leave online not-really-dating alone, and it looks like she might have been catfished. Here, she talks about not being so trusting after Mohamad, which apparently didn’t work out.

💋 Little Women LA wrapped things up for the season. I barely watched it, but did catch the episode where a very white Tara thought it would be a brilliant idea to come out with a wine called Black Girl Moscato. It wasn’t. She thought sisters would be down with that, but she did not make the Moscato happen. The entire rainbow said no, just no. These girls could give Lisa Rinna a run for her money the way they attach their names to products.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Obrecht recites from The Severed Branch. I knew the day might come when I’d have to burn my own life down. Nina tries to stop her, but she throws the Molotov cocktail, and laughs like the crazy person she’s being.

Sonny reads the Alzheimer’s brochures. Jason arrives, and asks if there’s been any word about Carly. Sonny says Diane got the court to let her visit, and she’s supposed to call soon.

At Ferncliff, Diane tells Mary Pat she can read the document all she wants, but the only thing that matters is the judge’s signature. Mary Pat wonders if the judge is acquainted with psychiatric cases of the deeply disturbed, and Diane says the judge is acquainted with the law. Mary Pat tells her unscheduled visits aren’t conducive to recovery, especially in a case like Carly’s. Diane says if Mary Pat doesn’t produce her client immediately, she’ll be in breach of the order, and there will be consequences. If she loses her position, that’s even better. As usual, Diane is not having it.

Michael and Nelle are back at the Quartermaine mansion. Nelle says, thankfully, Michael has a healthy wife and baby. He says now they can get on with the life they planned. Nelle says she’s been dreaming about it, and he says, it’s no dream; it’s their reality. He says, welcome home, Mrs. Corinthos.

Chase asks if Valentin wants some coffee, but Valentin says he’s agitated already from being arrested without cause. He wants to talk to his lawyer. Finn comes into the station, and tells Jordan that Peter is still missing, and most likely kidnapped by Obrecht. Jordan says she’s waiting on the DNA test from the cabin. Curtis joins them, and says she might not have to. Obrecht is on a rampage.

Lulu startles Maxie on the pier. She tells Maxie that Dante always says she should wear a bell. Maxie asks why she’s there, and Lulu says she had work to do at The Haunted Star. She says, Maxie’s turn, and Maxie says she’s waiting for the launch. Lulu says it’s not running; Spoon Island has been quarantined. Maxie says she’s got to be kidding. She doesn’t believe it, and wonders if Valentin is sick in the head.

The stables are ablaze. Nina tries to get Peter out, but he can’t stand.

Curtis tells Jordan that he and Sam spoke with Maxie, who hasn’t seen Obrecht since she left the hospital with James. Chase thinks the trail is cold, but Curtis says they questioned Franco, and the person who knocked him out wasn’t Valentin. It was Obrecht.

Lulu says Valentin’s not sick in the head. Arrogant and amoral, but the sad part is, he really does love Nina. Maxie says Nina is obviously still in love with him; she’s been going through a lot. Lulu asks why Maxie is intent on going when the island is quarantined. Maxie says there’s no quarantine. Lulu asks how she knows, and Maxie says she just does. She has to get there right away, and wants to leave it at that. Lulu says, The Haunted Star has a zodiac that can take us over. Maxie says, us? Lulu tells her if she wants a ride, start talking. She says Obrecht has been acting strange; strange for her, which is really strange. Even weirder than normal. Nina isn’t around, and Peter disappeared. Curtis and Sam think Obrecht is holding him captive. Even worse, they think Nina is with her.

Chase tell Valentin that he’s free to go. Valentin thanks him for being professional and wasting his time. He jets, making snarky remarks all the way out the door.

Nina tells Peter they have to get out. Obrecht walks out, but not as fast as I’d be walking. For a moment, I think she might lock them in, but she leaves the door wide open. Nina shouts at her to help, but that’s not happening. She tells Peter that he has to stand, but he can’t move. He wants her to go, but she says she’s not leaving him.

Sonny tells Jason that Diane appealed to the court to visit Carly, so she can monitor the situation. Sonny wonders what Carly was thinking, and Jason says she thought it was worth the risk. Sonny says it didn’t do any good. Michael married Nelle. He can scream at Diane all day, but there’s nothing he can do.

Diane is shocked to see Carly in a padded cell. Mary Pat says Carly is violent and unstable, and managed to overpower her. Diane wonders if it isn’t a conflict of interest, but Mary Pat says she’s a professional. She has no issues with Carly. She tells Diane she has five minutes, but she doubts if Diane will need them. Diane goes into the room, and finds Carly barely conscious

Michael brings Nelle a healthy snack. She asks about Monica, and he says she’s still sick and keeping her distance sick, but sends her love. Drew joins them and asks how Nelle is feeling. Nelle says Kim gave her the all clear. He bets Monica is happy, and Michael says she knew before they did. He tells Nelle he’s going to put her things in her room; he thought she’d be more comfortable for her to sleep alone. She says that’s thoughtful, but she fully intends on sleeping with her husband tonight.

Chase says it’s the first time in his career that a suspect said they had nothing to do with an assault, and it was true. Michael calls Chase, who asks if there’s been any progress. Michael says they’re acting like a blissful, loving married couple. He’s giving her a lot of attention, but making excuses to leave the room, so she suspects he’s stringing her along. Chase tells him to be careful. Nelle is smart, and more than paranoid. If she figures out it’s a trap, she’ll become even more dangerous.

Drew asks Nelle if she needs anything; they’re family now. She says she has very little of own family, and Drew says she does now. The Quartermaines are good people, although they’re complicated. Nelle says they have a lot in common. He came in as an outsider, with a troubled past, and so did she. It gives her hope that they’ll accept her like they have him. He says if she does right by Michael, everything will go fine. She says she’s trying, but everyone judges her. She asks how he overcame everyone looking at him and seeing a killer.

Sonny apologizes for being negative, and Jason says they have other resources. Sonny says, they can do what they can to get Carly out of Ferncliff, but no matter how many resources he has, nothing can stop Alzheimer’s. Jason asks if Mike had a bad day. Sonny says Mike didn’t know who was who. He thought people were coming to attack him, but Felix calmed him down. Jason is glad Mike has a good caregiver, and likes Felix. Sonny says Felix believes it’s time to think about permanent care. Jason asks what Sonny thinks. Sonny says he can’t farm Mike out to strangers. No matter what, they don’t know him, and don’t love him. Mike is his dad, and they’re not family (which is the theme for today).

Diane approaches Carly, and asks if Carly can understand her. Sonny sent her. Carly says, Sonny? Diane says he’s very concerned, so she came to look in on her. Carly asks if Sonny is there, but Diane says he can’t come. She came as Carly’s attorney. She’s working hard for him to visit. She tells Carly this is important. Does she know what drugs they’re giving her? Carly says she doesn’t do drugs; they’re bad. Diane says the doctor or nurse prescribed them. Carly says, tell Sonny to stop Michael from marrying Nelle.

Jordan tells Finn that there’s an APB out on Obrecht. Finn says she’s probably long gone. Curtis thinks Franco knows more than he’s saying. He’s her only friend. If she was desperate enough to knock him out, she’ aware her time is getting short. Finn says, so is Peter’s.

Maxie tells Lulu about Nina asking how she’d feel if Peter died, and about Wyatt finding the cabin. She says if anyone is capable of kidnapping Peter, it’s Obrecht. By the time the police got there, the cabin was abandoned, but they found evidence. They’re running forensics now, and the quarantine on Spoon Island makes sense. Lulu says it sounds suspicious, and Maxie can’t believe she followed that. Lulu says they have to let the police handle it, but Maxie says Obrecht might do something to Peter. She has to save Obrecht and Nina from themselves. Lulu is shocked that Nina is involved, but Maxie says, she’s grieving. They’re out of their minds. Lulu wonders what Maxie thinks she can do to stop them. Maxie thinks they need someone who loves them to pull them from the brink. Like magic, Valentin appears, and says he couldn’t agree more. Who wants a ride? Little hearts pop out of my eyes.

Peter tells Nina to go. She says she’ll get help, but she can’t get past the flames outside the door. She screams for help.

Nelle tells Drew sorry to be blunt. She knows she can be annoying that way. He says he doesn’t think they look at him as a killer, and he doesn’t look at himself that way; not anymore. She says, at one point, he thought he was Jason. The things Jason has done, most people would be in prison. She asks how he did it. How did he get away with murder?

Sonny tells Jason every patient is different. Jason thinks he’s doing a great job. Sonny says he should have handled Croton differently. He shouldn’t have pressed Mike. After that, he started to deteriorate. Jason tells him not to put the pressure on himself; that’s not how Alzheimer’s works. Sonny says Jason has done some research. Jason says Sonny is the one who will remember, not Mike. The choices he makes have to feel right. He has to live with them.

Carly tells Diane that Sonny has to stop them. Nelle is going to hurt Michael. Diane says Sonny and Jason won’t let her. Carly asks what if that doesn’t happen. Diane asks her if she was given a shot or pills, but Mary Pat interrupts, saying, time’s up.

Curtis tells Jordan that Sonny has a presence in the area; maybe he knows something. Jordan says she can’t put herself in the position of owing him. Finn says tell Anna that when they find Peter’s body. Curtis says it will be on him. Chase calls Jordan over to his phone. Jordan tells Finn that they’re doing everything they can. They’re also dealing with the West Nile quarantine on Spoon Island. Finn tells Curtis there’s no West Nile. Why the quarantine?

Outside the stables, Obrecht says, sorry, Nathan; sorry, my son. It was not supposed to happen this way. Valentin runs up to her, and asks, where’s Nina? Obrecht thought Nina was behind her, and says she wasn’t supposed to be there. He looks at the burning building. Maxie and Lulu join them, and Valentin tells them to call 911. He starts to move toward the stables, and says, get the coastguard. They’ll need paramedics and a fire squad. He goes into the building. Lulu calls 911. Obrecht says, Nina was right. This would break Nathan’s heart. Maxie asks what she’s done, but she just keeps repeating, Nina was right.

Finn wonders if Valentin realizes the quarantine was bogus. Curtis bets his ass on it, and Finn thinks they should go there before all hell breaks loose.

Maxie tells Obrecht not to talk about Nina in the past tense. She starts to head in after Valentin, but Lulu says she can’t go in there. Maxie insists she’ll be careful, but Lulu says she’s not a firefighter, and can only get killed. Maxie says she hates Valentin, but he cares enough to go after Nina. Lulu says, every safety manual says the same thing – wait. Maxie says they’re on an island; it will be too late by the time they get there. Lulu says her son won’t have a mother. She has kids. She needs to put them first.

On the phone, Jordan tells Michael to be careful. His life depends on Nelle not catching wind that it’s a sting. Michael is confident that she’s buying what he’s feeding her, mixing his metaphors. He says she’s on the verge of turning to Chase for help. He asks her to give Chase the phone. Chase tells him not to push. If she gets suspicious, the operation will be blown. Don’t get over-confident. It’s a lethal cat and mouse game, and there are variables. Nelle might not play by their rules. She could turn to someone not on their radar, or matters into her own hands. You never know.

Drew asks if something is on Nelle’s mind. She’s fascinated; he’s led an interesting life. He’s a one-man podcast. Drew says he has no desire to impart that wisdom. If she wants inside knowledge about that, she’ll have to look elsewhere.

Sonny says he rarely visited his father, for good reason. When he left, Sonny’s mother ended up with Deke, who beat the hell out of the both of them. The facts haven’t changed, but his feelings have. He doesn’t know if he forgives Mike, but he doesn’t resent him. He doesn’t see the rage that used to be between them. Jason says Sonny’s anger was hard on Mike, but harder on Sonny. It was like a weight he kept trying to put down, and he would for a while, but then something would happen, and he’d pick it back up. Sonny guesses that’s it; the weight is gone.

Mary Pat asks Carly how the visit with her lawyer went. She’s one pushy lady. Carly asks, who? and Mary Pat says since it was that taxing, she has something to help her manage. Carly can barely speak, but she says she doesn’t want it, and leave her alone. Mary Pat says she’s worked up. She knew she shouldn’t have let Diane barge in; some people don’t listen. Carly started out that way, but she’s learning.

Obrecht stands on the pier. She flashes back to Peter saying she should have given Nathan the information about his father years ago. He could have prepared, and had a strategy; made a plan. Even if she kills him, she’ll never escape her own guilt. Curtis is suddenly there, and tells her to be careful. There are all kinds of dangerous characters out on the docks at night. She turns in the opposite direction, and Finn is standing there. He says, nope.

Valentin finds Nina lying on the floor, and picks her up. Poor Peter! Valentin carries Nina outside. Lulu is on the phone, asking them to please hurry; the fire is spreading. Maxie asks where Obrecht is, and Lulu didn’t see her leave. Valentin puts Nina down. Maxie doesn’t think she’s breathing. Valentin does mouth to mouth, ladies everywhere unite in romantic thoughts.

Sonny knows his father is getting older and losing his memory, but it’s the first time he’s felt this close to Mike; not since he was six years old. They can laugh and talk, and he can see why people like him and why his mom fell in love. Now he’s slipping away, just when Sonny is getting to know him. Jason says, something good came out of it. Sonny wishes he had more time. He knows it sounds selfish, but one reason why he didn’t want Carly going through what she is, is that he needs her with him. Diane walks in, and he asks if she saw Carly. Diane says, for five whole minutes, which is all the court order stipulated, and all Ferncliff would allow. Sonny asks how Carly is, and Diane makes a serious face.

Mary Pat looks in Carly’s mouth. She says they might need to redouble the dose. She’ll be sleeping tonight. Carly says, no more pills, but Mary Pat says, the doctors dictate treatment, not the patients. Carly asks when she’s seeing Doc. Mary Pat says he’s away for a few days, but Carly is in good hands. Dr. Lazarus is a visionary, and has had success with lost causes. He has something special in store for her.

Nelle apologizes to Drew for crossing the line. She says she has a morbid curiosity in crime shows and mysteries. She didn’t mean any harm. He’s sorry he doesn’t share her enthusiasm. Michael comes back, and Nelle asks, what took so long? He says he wanted everything perfect for his new bride. She says she’s tired, and can’t wait to snuggle up to her new husband. They leave, and Drew ponders.

Nelle and Michael get into bed and spoon. Michael waits for her to go to sleep, and gets up She opens her eyes. She thinks about Chase saying she deserves a guy who loves her for herself. This marriage of convenience will fizzle out, and Michael will cut her loose. He’ll use the baby as a weapon against her, and claim her child. She’ll be alone again.

Chase does his quarter flipping thing, and looks at Nelle’s picture. He flashes back to meeting with Jordan and Michael, and Jordan saying the fewer people that know, the better. Michael says it will be cruel to his family, but Chase tells him if he wants her out of the family, he’ll have to live with it. This time, Nelle won’t get away. Period. Nelle calls, bringing Chase back to the present. She says Chase was right about everything. She can’t stay married. She needs his help.

Michael goes downstairs. Drew asks if he can’t sleep. Drew points out that they haven’t spent night together for a long time. It might take a while to get used to it. Michael prays it never gets that far.

Diane tells Sonny and Jason that Carly is heavily medicated, and in a padded room wearing restraints. Sonny says he’ll talk to the judge. He wants her out, and doesn’t care about technicalities. Diane says she did try to escape. She also has a new doctor. Sonny asks if he can get to him. Diane doesn’t think there’s anyone Sonny can’t get at, but advises against it. The DA is just waiting for a chance to get him. He’d be leaving himself wide open for extortion. They could transfer Carly to a facility where he can’t reach her. Now is the time to strategize, not use brute force. It will not serve him well. Sonny says he’d have more faith if her last strategy hadn’t put Carly in Ferncliff to begin with. Diane says there were a lot of factors; the DA being one of them. She shoulders most of the blame, let her make this right. She’s going to ask for an independent investigation. Once it’s documented that Carly is over-medicated, she can be transferred to Shadybrook. At the very least, her treatment will be supervised. Sonny says it’s her last chance. Make it work.

Carly is all shaky, and out of it. Mary Pat says Dr. Lazarus is moving in a new direction. It’s unorthodox, but a novel approach to the challenging cases. When he’s done with Carly, she’ll be a piece of cheese. I swear that’s what it sounded like she said, but I cheat and look elsewhere. She said, changed woman.

Finn gets to the island. He asks how long Nina has been out. They explain she was in the fire, and they don’t know. Finn asks if Nina can hear him. She comes to, and coughs. Lulu produces some water, and Finn gives it to Nina. She says she was stuck inside, and almost suffocated. How did she get out? Maxie says Valentin saved her.

Jordan arrests Obrecht on the pier, and reads her rights. Obrecht stoically nods when asked if she understands them. Curtis says he can’t reach Finn. Peter’s location was believed to be Spoon Island. Jordan tells the officers that she’ll have Obrecht transferred, and the WSB can take it from there. There’s a police boat waiting. Obrecht says to tell Anna, now we are even.

Finn asks where Peter is. Maxie says they haven’t seen him. Nina says they have to get him out. Valentin says the smoke was thick, but he didn’t see Peter. Nina tells them that Obrecht had Peter tied up. She lost it completely, and started the fire. Nina wanted to try and get help. Maxie says there are no other entrances. Finn says Peter is still inside, and looks in.

On Monday, Josslyn comes on to Oscar, Drew asks Margaux what business the DA has with his company, and Finn goes in to save Peter.

💍 90 Day Fiancé – the gift that keeps on giving. Tonight was the season premiere of 90 Day Fiancé: What Now?. There seems to be no end to this franchise, which is fine with me. It’s a train wreck I could watch all day. Maybe they should have their own channel. They have enough spin-offs. This one revisited couples down the road. Myriam came to the U.S. to visit Patrick. Meeting his mother was a hurdle, since at the Tell All, mom was not too friendly. And rightly so. It wasn’t so much that Myriam had a boyfriend, but Patrick had to schlep all the way to Paris to find out. As the Countess would say, uncool. Danielle still has one more thing with Mohamed, but that’s coming in the next episode. I can’t wait. I have the feeling there is always going to be one more thing with Mohamed. Until I see him in the headlines anyway. I also can’t wait for this season’s Tell All on Sunday. I’m hoping to get some commentary together about it, since the season was quite lively. Especially when Pedro’s whiny, bitchy sister came for a visit, and he started a fistfight at the home of the Family Chantel. David and Annie are living above storage units in exchange for David working there, and Jorge might have a ten-year-old daughter. I don’t know what’s sadder. These outrageous people who deserve each other, or that I can’t stop watching them.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

On the phone, Sonny tells someone to call in any favors they can. Jason joins him, and Sonny says Carly is on lockdown at Ferncliff. Jason asks what about the appeal. Sonny tells him that Diane is working on it. They have to get her out, and she’s making it worse. Not that he blames her for wanting to protect Michael.

Chase meets Michael in the elevator at the hospital. He asks if it was a fun wedding night, and the best thing Michael can say about it is, it’s over. They have Nelle where they want her, and he’s ready for the next step. Chase tells him, God speed.

Kim tells Nelle the baby is in great shape. Nelle asks, what’s up with the stomach pains? Kim says she ran every test, and they were negative, but she might know what’s causing it.

Valentin says, I know you, to the MetroCourt bartender, but he says he has one of those faces. Valentin says they’ve met before, and the bartender says he’s been in Port Charles a while. He introduces himself as Chip, and Valentin says they can start with him explaining exactly who he is.

Peter asks Nina what he’s supposed to do next time, when she’s not there and Obrecht tries to kill him? Nina tells him to shut up. She’s got this; a way out for both of them He’ll be safe from Obrecht if he’s behind bars.

Sam tells Elizabeth that she and Curtis have some questions about Franco.

On the docks, Franco asks Obrecht if she’s okay. She asks him to excuse her state. She didn’t anticipate running into anyone else. He asks if she’s crying, and she says it’s allergy season. The pollen is ruthless this year. He doesn’t think that’s it.

Julian visits Sonny, who asks what he’s doing there. Julian says nice to see him too. He shows him the picture of Charlie and Mike.

Michael visits Nelle at the hospital. Kim thinks the culprit is indigestion. It’s like heartburn on steroids, and common in the last few weeks of pregnancy. Nelle feels like she was being melodramatic, but Kim tells her not to feel that way. They’re going to make sure she’s hydrated, and then she can go.

Sam tells Elizabeth, more specifically, they have questions about Franco’s relationship with Obrecht. Curtis says they have reason to believe Obrecht is hiding Peter from the authorities. Elizabeth asks if they’re talking about the cabin in the woods. Franco already told the police everything he knows.

Franco tells Obrecht to be honest; he already knows everything. She asks what everything is, and he says she lied. She didn’t have a woodsy hunk at the cabin; she had Peter tied to a bed, and she knows where he is. She says nothing gets past her Franco. He tells her that Elizabeth said to go to the police. She asks if he heeded that little snitch’s advice, but he says Finn already told them. She says, how predictable. A known drug addict couldn’t wait to cast dirt. He says, not dirt. She’s been holding Peter hostage, and he was found by an innocent kid whose probably scarred for life. She suggests Wyatt have a few sessions with Franco, and he’ll be fine. He says the cops aren’t just after Peter anymore. They’re coming after her.

Peter says Nina’s solution is to surrender to the PCPD? If he turns himself in, Robert will make it his mission to keep him in a cell for the rest of his life. Nina says he’ll be alive, and it’s better than what Obrecht has planned.

Valentin says he’s definitely seen Chip before. Chip says he’s an actor. Chip Morris. He’s worked in several metro areas, and did a local commercial; it pays the bills. He asks if this rings a bell, and pantomimes the advertisement he did. Valentin says he remembers, and grabs him by the front of his shirt. He says, it was some show on the pier, and asks who hired him?

Julian tells Sonny it’s a small world, and Sonny says, sure is. Julian says he’s been making room for the expansion, and found the photo. Sonny never mentioned Mike was buddies with the guy who owned the joint. Sonny says he didn’t know. Mike saw the picture of Charlie on the wall of the pub, and started talking about the old neighborhood. He lit up when he was talking, so Sonny wanted to buy the place. Julian says, it’s a hefty price to pay for nostalgia. Sonny says he’s lucky he’ll never understand what living with Alzheimer’s is like. He wanted Mike to be able to work there once in a while. Julian says he has no intention of selling, but Sonny’s dad is always welcome for coffee on the house, and not because Sonny forced him to. He tells Sonny to keep the photo, and leaves. Jason asks how much Sonny thinks he knows?

Nelle thanks Kim for being supportive, and Kim says she made it easy. She congratulates them on their marriage, and Nelle shows her the ring. Kim says it’s the first hospital wedding in her medical career, and Nelle says, everything is falling into place. Kim tells her to enjoy the end of her pregnancy, and get as much sleep as possible before the baby comes. She leaves, and Michael says it’s a relief. Nelle is glad it didn’t completely ruin the wedding. When she woke up, she felt like a different person; like how she was supposed to be. She can’t wait to start their new life. Michael’s phone dings. He says Alexis is supposed to meet him to go over logistical stuff with his will. He says he’ll be back before Nelle is discharged, and she says she’ll get her hydration on.

Chip threatens to call security, and Valentin asks him if all DEC agents are looking for extra work, or just him. Chip admits he was playing a part, and Valentin says, so it was just a hoax; why? Chip says he didn’t mean to start trouble. A lady hired him. She didn’t give her name; she just said it was part of a project. Valentin asks him to describe her. He says she was tall, athletic, strawberry blonde, and intense. Valentin says he knows who Chip means.

Nina says she’ll get Valentin to the MetroCourt, take him up in the freight elevator, and tip the police off. In exchange for setting him free, he’s going to tell them that he never saw his captors. Spin it however he wants; he’s good at fiction. Just keep her and Obrecht out of it. He says, no matter what he promises to say, how does she know he won’t give them up when he’s in police custody?

Elizabeth understands the think Obrecht has Peter, but when Finn and Franco got to the cabin, no one was there, but the ropes still were. Curtis asks why Franco didn’t tell the police, and Elizabeth says he didn’t want to jump to conclusions. Sam says they just came from the PCPD, and Franco wasn’t there. Elizabeth says they must have missed each other. She calls Franco to prove he was there.

Obrecht thanks Franco for the heads up. He asks if she’s disassociating, and she tells him not to shrink her. He says Peter is a fugitive, and they know she has him. If they catch her, she’s done. He wonders how she convinced herself that any of this was a good idea. They won’t care about her motivations, only her choices. She says she’ll make sure they don’t find him, and Franco says she’s not going to kill him. He’s not letting her do this to herself.

Kim goes to the pub. Julian says she caught him in the middle of organizing. She says she had a window between patients, and thought she’d swing by to show him some ideas. She wants to make sure the place feels like them. Julian asks if she means him and her, and she says, of course. He’s says things have gotten more complicated than when he started, and she asks, how so?

Jason tells Sonny that Julian knows something is up. Sonny says that’s why he told him that he wanted the pub for Mike. The closer the lies are to the truth, the easier they are to maintain. He’s going to force Julian to sell or take him out altogether. Jason says he’s Sam’s father and Danny’s grandfather, but if Sonny says he has to go, he’ll take care of it. Michael walks in, and says Nelle is being discharged, so he needs to follow through on the next step. Sonny thinks it’s time to fill him in on the specifics of the plan.

Chase visits Nelle, and she asks if it’s time for her daily lecture. No more kissing; she’s officially a married woman. He says he came to check on her, and apologize. He still has feelings for her, but he didn’t realize how strong they were until he kissed her. He could tell she didn’t feel the same way, and he felt like an idiot, so he lashed out. It’s for him to deal with, and he shouldn’t have said what he did. It’s not his place to interfere. He wants her to be happy, and if she says she is, it’s good. She tells him that he was right about Michael. She found out he’s planning to cut her out of his will.

Franco tells Obrecht it’s the only way. She wants justice for Nathan, but he says, murder isn’t justice. She says, close enough. He thinks she can make a better set of choices. She says, like him? He knows what she feels. He felt rage and wanted revenge, and then he faced the guy who hurt him. Obrecht asks if he let him live, and he says he didn’t have to make that choice. She says, lucky him. Franco tells her that if he’d killed him, he would have lost everything, and she will too, if she doesn’t step back. She says it’s too late; she’s already lost everything. Her son is dead, her daughter is in prison, and most people would be better off without her. What does she have to live for? He says she still has him.

Elizabeth leaves Franco a message. She guesses he must be giving his statement, and probably answering questions. She’ll let them know when he calls. Sam says they’ll be looking forward to it.

Curtis asks Sam if she thinks Franco is lying. She says he’s always lying, only the scale changes. They need to figure out where Obrecht is.

Valentin shows Nina’s picture to Chip. He says, that’s her, and Valentin says she’s his wife. Chip says he had no idea he was getting involved with a marital dispute, but Valentin says he’s not to blame, adding he’s a good actor and had him convinced. Chip tells him to spread the word about the show. He gives Valentin a flyer, and Valentin says he’ll get right on it. Valentin wonders what Nina wants.

Michael tells Sonny the less he knows the better. Sonny will have to trust him. Sonny says he married a woman who killed her last fiancé. She’s dangerous. Whatever he’s doing to neutralize her, Sonny wants in. Jason says Michael owes it to his father to tell him what he’s planning.

Nelle tells Chase that Michael is meeting with Alexis, and writing his will. Chase thinks that’s morbid, but he’s not sure why she’s worried. He probably wants to add their child as a beneficiary. She says their child is the only beneficiary. He’s leaving nothing to her. She asks if he’s going to say, I told you so, but he says he’s not going to gloat. She says Chase said Michael didn’t love her. Between the prenup and the will, Michael is making sure she gets nothing if the marriage ends.

Curtis and Sam see Valentin. Curtis tells Valentin that they’re having trouble getting ahold of Nina. She’s not answering her phone, and she’s not at Crimson. Sam tells him they think Obrecht might be keeping Peter captive. Valentin remembers Nina telling him that because of his silence, her brother is dead, and because of him, she had to take justice into her own hands. Sam asks if he has any idea where Nina is, and he says, as a-matter-of-fact, yes.

Nina says Peter could go back on his word, but she has to take that risk. He asks if she’s rediscovered her conscience. She says because of his choices, Nathan is dead, Maxie has no husband, James has no father, Obrecht has no son, and they have no brother. He’s dead, but now Peter has the chance to make it up and protect the people Nathan loves. Even if she’s wrong, could he seek revenge like his father would? She thinks he’s better than that. Peter says he’ll do it her way. Get him to the MetroCourt, and turn him in.

Franco tells Obrecht that she’s not the only person there who’s suffered losses. She hugs him. He tells her to turn herself in. She’ll miss out on some things, but not because she’s in prison. She’s been harboring a fugitive against his will, and it won’t go easy, but she won’t be there. He thinks she should leave Port Charles for good, and go somewhere safe. She can tell him where Peter is, and he’ll handle it. Assuming he’s alive. She says he was the last time she saw him. He says she can never return, but it’s better than life in jail. She says they may never see each other again, but he says they’ll see plenty of each other. She says he’s a good friend. He turns the other way, and takes his phone out. He asks where Peter is. He’s guessing Spoon Island. Obrecht comes up behind him, and hits him over the head, knocking him out.

Sonny asks Michael if he’s really going to goad Nelle into killing him. He says she’s nine months pregnant, and will need help. She thinks Chase is in love with her, and wants to run away with her. Sonny asks if he’s assuming she’ll ask Chase to kill him. Michael says when she does, it’s all the proof they need for attempted murder. Sonny asks if he’s considered the outcomes. Michael says Chase is a cop, and trashed a career for her. She thinks he’s infatuated with her. Jason says there’s no time to look for outside help; he has to move soon. Michael says Nelle has already signed the prenup, and knows she’s not getting anything in the will. She has to kill him before he files the papers, so he’ll die intestate. Sonny says he’s acting like he can’t get hurt. His mom will lose her mind for real if anything happens to him. Nelle has cost her enough. Michael says he’s the one who set it in motion, so it’s on him to stop it. He loves and respects Sonny, but it’s not his problem to solve; it’s Michael’s.

Nelle tells Chase to be honest. Does he think Michael is setting her up? Chase says it seems like text book rich people protection stuff. Those people aren’t like them, but if she and Michael love each other, she has nothing to worry about. He tells her to stop stressing and be happy. She’s earned it.

Sonny respects Michael taking the initiative, but thinks there are better ways to deal with Nelle. Michael is asking Sonny to let him finish what he started. He’s not as naïve as people think, and is fully aware of what has to be done. He wants Sonny’s blessing to do things the way he knows he can. Sonny puts his hand on Michael’s shoulder, and says he trusts him, but if Michael wants his blessing, there’s one thing he has to do for him.

Kim asks Julian how Sonny reacted. Julian says he got the point, which is that Julian knows Sonny has an ulterior motive for buying the pub. Now he knows that Julian knows. Kim says she told him she’d accept what he’d done in past, because he assured her that he had a new life. If he gets drawn back into anything criminal… He says Sonny was trying to strongarm him, but Kim says he just admitted to goading Sonny. Julian says he was putting him on notice. It makes her uncomfortable, and sounds like he wants to provoke an attack, so he has a reason to retaliate. Then he’ll be drawn into an illegal war? If he continues with this, she’ll need to rethink their situation.

Valentin tells Sam and Curtis that Nina is dealing with Crimson, and had to fly to Manhattan. He chartered the jet. Sam says that’s pretty nice of him, since they’re estranged, but he says he still wants to be supportive. He asks if Nina is in trouble, and Curtis says not unless she’s with Obrecht. Valentin leaves, and Sam says he’s lying. He definitely knows something.

Obrecht tells an unconscious Franco that she wishes she didn’t have to do that. She says to look after Maxie and James, and give them support. She knows he can. He’s a better man than when they met. Few people change, and those who do, seldom change for the better. He did, but alas, she can’t. She says, no more delays. She knows what must be done.

Julian asks if Kim is trying to break up with him. She says she loves spending time with him, but won’t turn a blind eye. He says she’s over-thinking it. He’s not trying to one up Sonny. He just wants to run his business his way, without Sonny breathing down his neck. The expansion isn’t just a business move; it’s an investment in the future. He hopes their future. She wants the man she’s come to know, not the one he used to be, and promised not to be again. He asks how about if he backs off Sonny, and puts peace and space between them? She asks if he means it. He kisses her, and she says she’ll see him later. He calls her cruel, but she says he has to be patient. It’s worth waiting for.

Chase comes by Sonny’s place at Sonny’s request. Sonny says Michael told him about the plan to incriminate Nelle. He thanks Chase for his genius idea, but Chase doesn’t think they should discuss an active operation. Sonny says it involves his son. if the plan backfires, and Michael gets hurt, he’s going to hold Chase responsible.

Nelle messes around on her phone. She hers Jason and Michael talking in the hallway. Jason asks Michael if he’s sure he knows what he’s doing. Michael says, obviously, Jason doesn’t think so, but he has to trust Michael’s judgement. Jason says he has Michael’s back, and Michael says Alexis took care of everything, while he’s putting the rest in motion. Jason says so he’s going through with it, and Michael says once they baby comes, he’s filing for divorce, and getting full custody. Nelle listens in.

Elizabeth leaves Franco another message. She’s getting worried.

Valentin goes to the docks. He hears Franco groaning from behind some crates.

Sam tells Curtis that she had Spinelli monitor the hangar, since they’d wondered if Valentin used it to help Peter. The jet hasn’t left Port Charles in weeks. Curtis wonders why he lied, and Sam says, because Nina knows where Obrecht is.

Peter thanks Nina, who tells him to save it for when he gets out. Obrecht walks in, holding something that looks like a Molotov cocktail. She says Nina has betrayed her, and Henrik has come to the end of the road.

Tomorrow, Chase goes to the docks, Carly refuses treatment, and Mike needs Sonny’s help.

The Real Housewives of New York City

Tinsley is excited to be taking the girl to Cartagena. Everyone is packing. Ramona had been in Marrakesh, and had to leave early. In her rush to switch gears, she’d fallen. She got up, but her ankle was twisted. Bethenny says she’s not in the best place for a trip, since she won’t be coming back to the apartment again. She isn’t feeling the love from Carole and Dorinda either.

Fastest. Plane. Ride. Ever. Ramona takes a wheelchair to one of the limos. She asks if they speak Spanish there, and Dorinda tells her they speak German. Ha-ha! In the other limo, Bethenny talks about Brian being persistent; he won’t stop texting her. LuAnn asks if that’s the one Ramona was trying to maul. Bethenny says Ramona said she went for drinks with him, but he said when she saw him with some other people, she abandoned her Uber to join them. He said, nice woman, zero interest, but Bethenny used it as an out, since she’s not interested.

Tinsley says the girls are used to their typical vacation being private beaches and catering to them hand and foot. This won’t be like that, but she thinks they’ll like it. She says the main exports are coffee, cocaine, and beer, and Dorinda asks how anyone works.

They arrive at the hotel. LuAnn thinks the city looks like a mix of New Orleans and Cuba. The house manager greets them, and introduces the house butler. LuAnn says the house has a lot going on; courtyards, staircases, elevators. They take a tour, and there’s an amazing spread already being prepared in the kitchen. Tinsley announces how they’re determining rooms. Each room has a Tiffany box containing one of their initials. In her interview, Sonja says this is where the vacation unravels. Tinsley wants it civilized, fair and random. We flash back to Bethenny trying to be fair picking names from a hat. She says it wasn’t her fault Ramona and Sonja acted like complete animals.

Everyone seems happy with their rooms, which is a miracle. In her interview, Ramona says it’s genius She didn’t know Tinsley was that smart. Ramona tells the chefs no butter for her. As usual, she harasses the staff about helping her unpack.

The dining table is high, and being short, I know how they feel. I often feel like those two kids in Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Lunch is served. Bethenny is allergic to fish, and Ramona forgot to mention it’s in the soup, even though she knew. In her interview, Bethenny says it’s like a poison inside. She needs a Benadryl, but doesn’t do well with medicine either. Tinsley apologizes for only having the budget for silver necklaces instead of gold.

In her interview, Ramona says Bethenny has a major allergy and should tell people, divesting herself of responsibility. Everyone gets ready for dinner. Tinsley is excited. Scott booked her glam team to come along, and it’s the way to her heart. A wheelchair arrives for Ramona. Dorinda says she’s dehydrated, and asks for some wine. I have no idea what Carole is wearing. She says it’s sexy, but I’d call it convoluted; some kind of corset under a sheer dress, which I’d normally like, but no. Ramona gets stuck in the elevator. No one notices, but she finally gets herself extracted. LuAnn comes out in a wig to channel Sophia Vergara. In her interview, Bethenny says she’s proud of LuAnn powering through without alcohol.

The girls head to the restaurant. Carole says only Ramona would be in a wheelchair on old cobblestone.  LuAnn says she feels better not drinking. She tells Bethenny she’s been charged, but has one felony pending for battery, so she’s still not out of the woods. Bethenny asks the odds of her going to jail. LuAnn thinks it’s none, but says, knock on wood. Their table is in a room that looks like it’s outside, with a lot of trees, but still enclosed. LuAnn says she never made it to South America over the holidays, and toasts to making it there. Bethenny says it was a motley crew at speed dating. Carole says she went out to dinner with Brian. In her interview, Bethenny says Carole never mentioned anything to her. They’re not best friends, but it’s basic. Ramona says she could have talked to him for hours. They all acknowledge that she tried, and Sonja insists Ramona liked him. Carole says he thought she was funny. She talks about hosting a fitness party with Cosmopolitan, which I’m shocked is still in existence. Sonja asks if Brian is coming, Bethenny says he would; he’s running game. Carole says he’s friends with Bethenny, who says, no they’re not. Carole seems skeptical, and Bethenny asks if she would believe him over someone she’s known for years. In her interview, Bethenny says Carole is acting like Brian is her high school boyfriend and they’re going to the prom. She wants to piss on him and stake claim. Tinsley asks what running game means, and LuAnn explains it means he’s hitting on everyone. Dorinda asks if Bethenny went out with him, but Bethenny says she doesn’t want to date him. Carole tells Bethenny that he didn’t want to date her either. Apparently, she doesn’t know Bethenny was getting a million texts from him. Bethenny says it’s unusual for someone to be circling one group. She says Carole seems to be acting smug, like won prize; a consolation prize. In her interview, Carole wonders where this is coming from. She’s done nothing to elicit this nastiness and judgement.

Carole says Bethenny knows everything, and surprisingly, Bethenny says, no, she doesn’t. Sonja says Bethenny is worried about Carole because Brian is a player. Carole calls her crazy, and says it’s not that complicated. In her interview, LuAnn says they’ve lost their mojo as a group. They used to have fun before the fighting started. After dinner, Bethenny tells LuAnn it was torture, and two hours of her life she won’t get back. In her interview, Dorinda wishes Bethenny and Carole would have it out already. The tension is exasperating. Bethenny says she’s tired, and not feeling good energy. She’s going back to the hotel. Outside, as they watch the others go off to a bar, Bethenny tells LuAnn and Sonja that this is the motleyest crew ever. In her interview, Carole says it’s classic Bethenny. If she’s not in charge, she’s unhappy, and wants to make everyone else miserable. Ramona complains that she had to hang up her own clothes.

Bethenny says it’s painful, and LuAnn agrees. The three of them decide to look around the town. In her interview, LuAnn says she would look at a guy differently if he’d been texting her girlfriend for two months. Bethenny is enjoying LuAnn and Sonja’s company, because they want to be on vacation and silly.

Carole wonders why Bethenny is angry. Ramona decides she’s not feeling sexy in a wheelchair, and pretty much abandons it in the street. Miraculously, she can walk. Bethenny, LuAnn, and Sonja find them in the bar. Sonja says they got the Colombian vibe while they were walking around. Bethenny says she’s just tired. Tinsley thought she wanted to go home because Dorinda said she was unhappy. In her interview, Bethenny says Dorinda loves to find gasoline and light a match. She tells Dorinda that she doesn’t need to share everything. Dorinda tells Bethenny all she said was that she didn’t seem happy. Bethenny compares it to when she’d though Carole was sad, and Carole got mad about it. In her interview, Dorinda says it was like Bethenny was wearing a sign that said she hates it there Dorinda tells Carole that they need to sort that sh*t out. Carole says she and Bethenny are in two different places. Dorinda insists she doesn’t share important things. In her interview, Bethenny feels like she’s back in high school or in the Hunger Games. She starts to get weepy. Sonja says don’t let minutiae get her down. In her interview, Carole says, if you don’t want to be there, stay home, but if you come out, buck up. Bethenny tells Sonja that Carole is probably having a later-in-life crises, but she doesn’t want to be judgmental. Sonja would rather see Bethenny be a bitch than cry. She hates what Bethenny is going through.

The next morning, Ramona says, it’s paradise, and her foot is good. Tinsley organizes s shopping trip. Bethenny swims with Sonja in the pool. Tinsley watches, and Bethenny apologizes to her. Tinsley just doesn’t want Bethenny to be unhappy. Bethenny says she has a lot going on. The custody case is causing more tension, and she’s not close with Carole anymore. She’s also moving. In her interview, Bethenny says, inside, she’s upset that she doesn’t have the same friendship with Carole, and feels like an outsider.

A fabulous breakfast is served. Tinsley says it’s her and Scott’s anniversary. It’s been a year since they started dating. Bethenny says they’d better get engaged soon, and Dorinda says he’s moving in soon. LuAnn says it’s a good way to figure out if it’s going to work, and talks about Rey, who got desperate when she dumped him. We flash back to him drunk, and hitting on women while looking for LuAnn at a party. A huge heart made of red roses arrives from Scott. It has tm + sk in white roses in the middle. There are 365 roses, one for every day they’ve been together. Carole gives Tinsley a gift and card that she’s been holding for him. It’s a bracelet Tinsley wanted. I don’t think she even bothered looking at the card. LuAnn says they should celebrate over lunch. In her interview, Bethenny says she wants to come back as Tinsley. Sign her ass up. Mine too.

Bethenny tells Dorinda that the restraining order – against suckerfish Jason Hoppy – is up in a month, and they’re still embroiled in a custody battle. We flash back to the reunion, where Bethenny says there’s no way to describe the torment. Dorinda says she has so much going on, she’s going to explode, but she’s not running around talking about her. In her interview, Dorinda says she isn’t gossiping, she’s agreeing with an observation. Bethenny says if she tells Dorinda something, don’t tell anyone. They get ready to go shopping, but Bethenny doesn’t think she can go. She breaks down crying, and tells Dorinda that she’s having a panic attack. Dorinda sits her down, and tells her to take a deep breath. LuAnn pops her head in, wondering about the shopping trip. Bethenny says she can’t have more people around her.

To be continued…

Next time, Carole can’t engage with someone who’s always crying, Bethenny says she’s not welcome there, and Carole wants to address the elephant in the room that’s affecting everyone.

Below Deck Mediterranean

In Naples, the dock party breaks up. Brooke tells João that they have blatant chemistry, and he kisses her. Kasey is like, wtf just happened? He’s been pining for her, and treating her like a princess, and she feels like an idiot. She and Jaimie clean up, and she doesn’t even look at them. Fireworks happen (literally), and he kisses Brooke some more.

Back at the boat, everyone winds down. Kasey says João was all over her all night, and told her he knows what he wants, insinuating it was her. Hanna tells Conrad he’s the guy, and needs to be a big spoon. I guess that’s drunk non-birthday talk for she wants to spoon. João says Kasey and Brooke are like yin and yang in his mind. In her interview, Brooke says she’s drawn to players. She wants to change them and make them a better person. Good luck with that. She and João make out on deck.

The next morning, Conrad gives instructions to the deck crew. Colin asks João if Brooke is into him João likes Brooke because she doesn’t judge him. In his interview, Colin says João is his closest friend on the boat, and it’s not the first time this happened to him. In college, he brought a girl to a party, and his friend went home with her.

At the preference sheet meeting, we find out the infamous no-onions Kenny will be the primary, along with his wife Amber. Adam is nervous to have him back. We flash back to the onion incident. Adam says in their industry, you don’t get a second chance. Former NBA player, Desmond Mason will also be on board, celebrating his engagement to girlfriend Rebecca. There are also a couple of Texans coming along. Hannah says they went through eight bottles of vodka in one day, so she’d better order it. They left a surprisingly big tip last time. Captain Sandy tells them to have fun on their off time. Adam gets rid of everything in the onion family that’s on the boat.

Jamie asks João what’s happening with him and Brooke, and what about Kasey? He says he wouldn’t have kissed Brooke if he didn’t mean it. He’ll have to be less flirty with Kasey. He knows what he wants now. Which is exactly what he said to Kasey the night before. Jamie isn’t feeling too good, and keeps coughing.

The crew gets ready to go out. João says it’ a tough crowd. Jamie says he’s screwed up the dynamic of the boat. Brooke tells Hannah that when they kissed, it was amazing. Colin is ready to hang out on the beach, and cruise in the catamaran. In her interview, Hannah says she thinks some people need to make their own mistakes. She tells Brooke that he has two strikes with her, and it’s important he doesn’t do it again. She says if Brooke is going to do something with him, stay the eff away from her.

Hannah takes pictures, and they get on the catamaran to go to the beach. Hannah tells Adam that the men in her life are usually friends or someone to play with, but she thinks Conrad is the guy. Adam loves watching it happen. Brooke thought João was more into her than anyone else. Apparently, there’s no such thing as girl code for Brooke. Hannah says it escalated quickly, and Colin is upset. João joins them, and they abruptly stop talking about him, and discuss the weather. Brooke asks Colin if he’s having a good day. In his interview, he says he wants to tell her, but now is not the right time. Kasey says actions speak louder than words, and nothing he says means anything anymore. In her interview, she says it feels good to show off her two piece, so he can see what he missed out on. It sucks for him. A small boat meets them at the catamaran, and takes them to the beach.

They’re met with champagne, and are being treated like guests for the day. João jumps from the deck after one of the staff tells them not to. Hannah, Conrad, and Colin sit in lounge chairs, while João and Brooke continue to make out. The others go on a hike up the mountain. Jamie says she’s not well. The location is stunning, but she’s feeling like sh*t. Hannah asks Colin how he’s feeling about Brooke and João. He says it’s hard, but they’re into each other. Hannah asks if he wishes she’d fallen in love with him. Adam picks figs, and is trying to enjoy the day off, but it’s difficult with Kenny coming. There’s never been a charter guest he’s wanted to redeem himself with more. Brooke and João take the paddleboard out. Kasey says when he’s around her, he flirts with her, and when he’s around Brooke, he flirts with Brooke. Hannah says it’s a d-bag move, and he’s a d-bag. Adam says he’s sure she’s not missing anything. Jamie goofs around with a water gun shaped like a penis.

Everyone dresses up and goes to eat at the restaurant. Jamie keeps coughing. The wine glasses are gigantic. Hannah tells Kasey that Brooke has to learn for herself. João talks some smack about Colin, who says he can hear him. Colin asks Brooke if she’s João’s second or third choice. In her interview, Brooke says she wants to keep Colin waiting in the wings in case anything happens. Nice. Hannah is proud that Kasey didn’t throw up today. The food arrives. Brooke seems bummed. In his interview, João says Hannah is fake. Everyone goes back to the boat.

Conrad cares about Hannah, but thinks she’s obsessing over João. He says he knows she’s fuming, but she doesn’t need to have go at him. She says she’s just being passionate with what she’s talking about, and she’ll talk to someone else. In her interview, she says he’s not being supportive, and it makes her sad. Colin falls asleep on deck, and the other guys play Buckaroo, a game where you stack things on a sleeping person until they wake up. They manage to stack a lot of things on him, including a cooler, and also put fancy sandals on his feet. When he finally wakes up, he’s a good sport about it.

Jamie says no one realizes how sick she is. Everyone goes to bed. João and Brooke talk on deck. She thinks they should hang out after the season is over. He says she should come to Zimbabwe. She’d love it, but there’s a lot of crime. He talks about his mother being beaten in front of him, and how he had a gun held to his head when he protested. He says it’s the worst thing he’s been though, and Brooke says his experiences are worlds away from everyone else on the boat. Maybe, but it still doesn’t excuse him from being a d-bag. Colin slams down Pringles directly from the can in the galley.

Conrad asks Hannah what the deal is. In his interview, he says this is why it’s bad idea to talk when there’s alcohol is involved; it won’t go well. João cries in the bathroom. Brooke hunts him down. He doesn’t want her to see him cry, but she says it’s fine. She probably loves it. He says he doesn’t want to talk about it. In his interview, he talks about recurring nightmares of not being there for his family. He tells Brooke that some have it worse. He wants people see the positive side of him. She says he’s awesome. In his interview, he says he convinced himself that he’s not in pain, but when he talked to Brooke, it came out.

Conrad goes out on deck for a smoke. Hannah joins him, and says she isn’t coping well. What she’s feeling for him is beyond what she allows herself to feel. He says he’s here to stay, and they’ll do it together. They kiss. In her interview, Hannah says the important male figures in her young life either passed away or left. She thinks she might have abandonment issues. She holds back because she’s waiting for them to leave. At 4 am she bugs Conrad. She tells Adam that she feels panicky.

In the morning, João says chewing seems like an effort. Everyone gets ready for the guests. Jamie coughs. Captain Sandy says she’s patient zero. If she spreads what she has, it will kill season. The captain sends Jamie to the doctor.

Conrad asks if Hannah is feeling better. Kasey says they have to be supportive, put what’s already been done in the past, and focus on now. Brooke thinks no one takes her seriously. Kasey thinks Colin is a good person. The crew puts last minute touches on the boat. Brooke asks if Hannah is okay, and Hannah says she’s having a full-blown anxiety attack.

Captain Sandy is annoyed that she hasn’t seen Hannah all morning, and calls her to the bridge. Hannah says she’s a bit ill, and they both go back to her bunk. The captain asks Conrad if they all ate the same thing yesterday, and he says, no, but Jamie was sick before that. Captain Sandy asks if Hannah wants to see a doctor, but Hannah says it’s anxiety. She’s struggling. When she falls in love, she goes away, and she can’t get away without quitting. In a shockingly compassionate response, the captain asks if she wouldn’t rather experience love, than not know it, and tells her to rest. My mouth falls open.

Conrad comes to Hannah’s bunk. He says he needs to be there, but can’t let his personal life affect his work. Hannah grabs on to him, and says the environment being closed makes her more anxious. He tells her to rest.

The crew changes into their whites. In her interview, Hannah says she’s suffered from anxiety for ten years. She thought she had it under control, but guesses she doesn’t. The captain says it’s a repeat client, and to – let’s all say it together – knock it out of the park. Hannah isn’t well, and Jamie is sick, so the rest have to pick up the slack. She tells Hannah greet Kenny, then rest. Brooke doesn’t want to feel disgruntled. They’re a great team, and it’s what team members do for each other. Jamie comes back, telling them she has bronchial something. The captain tells her that she’s quarantined for a while, and gives her a room away from the others.

Kenny arrives. Adam says, it’s D-day. Captain Sandy says she’s happy he’s back. He pretends to be leery of getting on the boat if Adam is there, and then says he’s just kidding. Adam apologizes, and says he’ll do everything he can to make it up. Hugs all around. Colin is a sports nut, and freaks a little over Desmond, saying, he’s huge. The captain is happy Kenny is giving it another try, and Adam can redeem himself. She tells them it’s a bigger boat, and Hannah gives the tour. Conrad wonders if he’s super weak or the suitcases are super heavy. Hannah says they have 150 bottles of Grey Goose on board. She tells them she might not be around too much today. In her interview, she says she looks fine, but her body is closing down. No job is worth her health.

Anchor is pulled, and the guests wander around the boat. Adam says, Hannah is down, Jamie is sick, and Kenny is on board. Who’s screwed? This guy, referring to himself.

The guests put on bathing suits. Kasey says she can step up and do her work without constant criticism. Lunch is prepared, and Kenny gives Adam a trucker cap that says #noonions. Anchor is dropped and locked. Kenny thinks it should be beach lunch, even though the table is already set. He’s going to be that guy. He tells Brooke that they noticed a great beach, and it would be cool if they did lunch there. In her interview, she says she can’t make magic; it’s a bit frantic. The captain tells Kenny that they’re putting the toys in the water, and Kenny tells her about the beach. In his interview, Conrad thinks Kenny doesn’t realize how much of an insane request it is. I think he does. Brooke tells Adam about the change, and he thinks it’s payback.

Later this season, more fabulous scenery, more drinking, more water; Captain Sandy sees everything, and tells them, no hookups upstairs; Kasey gets mad at João; Adam forgets a crew dinner; a table goes flying; Conrad says accept him for who is or eff off; the captain gets pissed at Hannah, and doesn’t want to babysit; Conrad says João is an a-hole; and Captain Sandy wants to fire Hannah.

🍳 On MasterChef, the mystery box was filled with fresh seafood, which the chefs had to cook New Orleans style. Taylor faced some serious criticism about her red fish and spicy shrimp. Gordon spared her, but told her to never put a dish like that in front of them again. Gulp. Matt was out, but he’s only been cooking for two years, so he was proud of himself, as he should be. Joe predicted there was more great food to come from him. Matt hoped to be an inspiration for others to follow their passion. Gordon said it was a stern reminder that everyone has to bring their A-game every time. The judges picked two from each of their teams to be safe from the elimination test, which was recreating a frozen Salisbury steak dinner, with potatoes and green beans. Gordon displayed the real thing, frozen since 2004, and those who were safe assigned cook times – from 30 to 45 minutes – to the competitors. Gordon said SJ, Gerron, and Emily knocked it out of the park (he must hang out with Captain Sandy), but Chelsea with the blue hair (who hadn’t plated well), Lindsay, and Shanika overreached, overthought, and underdelivered. In the end, Aaron told Lindsay that it wasn’t her night tonight, but her dream of opening a bed and breakfast with her wife was within her grasp. In parting, she said she was going to continue with her culinary dream. Next time, something different. The contestants partner up for a game of chicken, and a grueling challenge returns – a dish that strikes fear in the heart of every home cook. I have no clue what that might be. Risotto?

🐮 Tonight, Bravo got us prepped for the future by airing The Real Housewives of Dallas: How They Got Here. I can’t wait to see what craziness LeeAnne pulls in the coming season.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Nelle and Michael stand at the altar. When Ned says Michael may kiss the bride, Nelle stabs Michael in the stomach, and says that’s what she calls the kiss of death. Carly wakes up, and says, not my son.

Olivia helps Michael with his cufflinks. She tells him it’s okay to be nervous; it’s normal. He says there’s nothing normal about this wedding.

Mike says, will wonders never cease. Jason is wearing a suit and tie. He asks what’s happening, and Sonny says they’re going to a wedding. Mike thinks it’s Jason getting married, but Sonny says it’s not him; it’s Michael. Mike says Michael is finally settling down. It’s a cause for celebration, isn’t it?

Nelle tells the baby, we did it, baby; we’re in. She looks at the prenup, and remembers saying, as long as she and Michael are together, the papers are meaningless. Ava comes in, and takes the papers out of her hand, saying the door was open. Nelle says she was thinking about something. Ava says, like the prenup? She sees Nelle has signed it, and says it’s strategic, but that’s her thing, isn’t it? Nelle says, prenups can be dissolved, but Ava says, a Quartermaine and his money aren’t soon parted. Ask Tracy, whose father took his money to his grave. But of course this is a true love match; she and Michael together forever. Nelle says, till death do us part.

Sam sees Drew at the MetroCourt. He says they must be the first ones there.

Mike wonders why they’re not happy for Michael. Sonny says Michael has had share of bad luck with women and relationships. Mike asks if he knows what he’s doing with the woman he’s marrying. Sonny tells him, he says he does, and they have to take him at his word. Jason says, he’s a grown man, and it’s his decision.

At the hospital, Brad tells Lucas that they have to get going, but Lucas wants to take a detour to the beach. They haven’t been there in a year, and the sand and warm water would be perfect. Brad says they have to be there in less than an hour. Lucas says Michael won’t miss them, but Brad says, Nelle will. She’s his friend. He thinks Lucas’s mom got to him. Lucas says he’s not the only one who realized Carly’s life tanked when Nelle came along. He tells Brad that he’ll go, but don’t expect him to throw rice.

Carly flashes back to Nelle’s visit, and Nelle asking if she can call Carly mom.

Josslyn is getting ice for Nelle, but sees Oscar, who tells her that she looks beautiful. He says Julian was trying to give him fashion advice, and she says he doesn’t need any help; he looks great and smells great. She asks if he likes the cologne, and he says he loves it, but mostly because she gave it to him. Josslyn needs to get back.

Ava asks if anyone is helping Nelle, and Nelle says Josslyn is her maid of honor. Ava starts to leave, and says, with all sincerity, she wishes Nelle the best. Nelle hopes she means that. A lot of people in her life are fake. Ava says it’s no secret that his family loathes her, but Nelle says they’ll come around when the baby is born – if they want a relationship with her child. Ava tells her not to overestimate the power of marriage, and don’t let her guard down. Sonny and Jason won’t rest until Carly is free, and when she is, she’ll try to break them up for good. Nelle says she got rid of everything that would point to her, and Ava says, not quite. Nelle asks if that’s a threat on her wedding day, but Ava says it’s just a reminder. Nelle says, better a reminder than a revelation. Imagine if Griff found out about the test results Ava kept on her phone. She adds there’s no point in them threatening each other. You do you, and I’ll do me.

Olivia hopes Michael doesn’t mind her filling in for his mom. She would be there to help if she could; she loves him. Michael knows that, but says she wouldn’t help with this wedding if someone was holding her at gunpoint. Ned comes in and says he sees Michael is ready. He has his notes, and asks how Michael is feeling. Michael says he’s been thinking about this day for a long time. Ned asks if he’s ready, and Michael says, that’s one way to put it. He says he’ll see them at the hotel. Ned and Olivia leave, and Michael’s phone rings. The number says unavailable, but he answers. It’s Carly. She’s glad she caught him.

Sonny says there’s no point in putting it off, and Mike hopes it works out. Jason is worried how Carly is going to take it. Michael thinks it’s his responsibility because he let Nelle in, and now thinks the problem is solved. Sonny says he told Carly that it’s Michael’s game. Even if she wanted to fight, she can’t do anything.

Michael says he didn’t think they let patients make calls, and Carly says they don’t. He asks how she’s calling then, but she says it doesn’t matter. He can’t marry Nelle. She knows he has a plan to neutralize her, but it’s dangerous for him and the baby. He says it will get better, and she says it will when he and the baby are safe. He says keeping the baby safe is all that matters. Carly says she doesn’t have much time. She didn’t push Nelle. Nelle is lying, like she did about everything else. She tells him that he can’t marry her; it’s not worth risk. He says everything will be okay; he promises. She tells him that she loves him, and ends the call. He says he loves her too, to an empty line. Carly sees the phone battery is low.

Drew tells Sam there seems to be a lack of empathy for the sacred union. She says Michael is marrying Nelle because of the baby; she’s not feeling the love. Oscar comes in, and takes a picture of them. Sam asks how his summer is going, and he says he’s interning at Aurora. She likes it. Drew says he could be working on his tan, but he’s in boring strategy sessions. Oscar says they’re planning a world take over,

Ava doesn’t want every encounter with Nelle to be so contentious; she just wants to know where they stand. Nelle says, shoulder to shoulder against Carly. They’re in it together. Josslyn returns, and asks why Ava is there. She says she was just leaving, and Josslyn tells her that she’s sorry Morgan couldn’t be there. Ava leaves, and Josslyn says she knows Ava is Nelle’s friend, but when she sees her, she wants to punch her. She asks what she can do to help, and Nelle asks about the ice. Josslyn says she forgot. Geez, she had one job. Josslyn gives Nelle a gift box. Inside, is a hair ornament that was her grandmother’s. Her mom gave it to her, and she’s loaning it to Nelle, so Nelle can have something old, borrowed, and blue. She thought they could have something to tie the families together. Nelle says, other than Michael and the baby. Nelle takes a photo of herself and Josslyn, saying she can send it to Josslyn’s mom. So she can have a tie to the wedding, even if she can’t be there.

Oscar take photos. Lulu says Dante is away, but he probably wouldn’t be thrilled. Olivia tells her, the fewer harsh words we say, the fewer we have to take back. Lulu says most of the guests are here under duress, and Ned says he has too much in his own past to pass judgments. It’s Michael’s life, and it’s what he wants. Lulu says, this can’t be it. Who gets married on Friday the 13th? Olivia says, when in doubt, smile, and Lulu says, no comment. Oscar takes the picture, and Lulu’s face is priceless.

Brad tells Lucas that he turned his life around; maybe Nelle did too. Lucas says the only thing Nelle did was get pregnant. Brad thinks she should be given half a chance, and if he’s wrong, he’ll eat his words. Lucas can hold it over him for the rest of his life. Lucas supposes that’s a no on the beach. Once they have the baby, there will be zero time for spontaneity. Brad says if Lucas plays his cards right, there might be spontaneity tomorrow tonight. Right now, they’re going to welcome Nelle into the family. Bobbie joins them, and says, let’s do this. We don’t see her, but Lucas and Brad look surprised.

Mike asks where Carly is, and Sonny says she’s not going to be there. Mike says, no Dante, no Morgan, and where are the grandmothers? Ned tells him Monica has the flu, but Bobbie will be there. She walks in with Brad and Lucas. She’s dressed entirely in black. Olivia says, that’s how to make a statement.

Carly throws a chair at the door, and yells she wants out of there. She’s sick of this place. She pounds on the window. Mary Pat is outside the door showing Doc a video of Carly with her phone. She says she’s never seen anything like this in her life. Really? In a hospital for the criminally insane? She tells Doc that Carly needs restraints and heavy sedation. Leaving the wedding, Doc tells her not to do that. Mary Pat says Carly is liable to hurt herself. He says he’ll make that assessment when he gets there. Mary Pat tells him that she’ll take any action that Carly’s behavior warrants. She tells Carly to behave, and tells Doc to hurry, before her patience wears thin.

Brad asks for minute with the bride, and Josslyn promises to get ice for real. Brad gives Nelle a present, saying, it’s a little something for luck. It’s a beautiful pendant necklace. Brad puts it on her. It’s funny how when bride’s get surprise jewelry in movies and TV shows, they’re never wearing any already. Nelle says in a few minutes, she’ll be walking down the aisle with a man no one thinks she deserves. What luck does she need? Brad tells her to let it be a reminder she has a friend in her corner. She hugs him, and says she’ll treasure it forever.

Jason sees Michael at the Quartermaine’s, and says he could put an end to it. Stay there, and he’ll make the apologies. He says, do not marry Nelle.

There’s a knock on Nelle’s door. Its Chase.

Griff introduces Oscar to Ava, who says Julian mentioned he was an impressive young man. She notices his cologne, and he says Josslyn gave it to him. Ava tells Griff the cologne Josslyn gave Oscar is the same one Morgan wore. Griff says Carly imagined the cologne at Morgan’s grave; it was brought up in the trial. He says personally, he wouldn’t know one from another.

Carly screams to let her out. Mary Pat says she needs a strong sedative; a good twelve hours. Doc arrives and wants to see her alone. Carly tells Doc that Nelle is going to hurt Michael, or worse, she’s going to kill him, like she killed Zack. She has to stop the wedding. Doc asks how she expects to do that, and she says Michael’s life is at stake. She can’t lose another son.

Michael tells Jason that he’s sticking to the plan. He gets that he’s taking a risk. Jason says he has a lot on the line. He has people who care about him, and Nelle is dangerous. Michael thinks it’s worth the risk, but Jason asks if he’s sure he’s not punishing himself, making it his fault. Michael says he ignored what was in front of him. He thought he could fix Nelle, and brought her into their lives. Now she’s bringing an innocent life into the world that she can use as leverage. It’s his responsibility as a father.

Chase tells Nelle to get her stuff and come with him. She says, why, and Chase says she doesn’t love Michael. Michael loves his child. He’s a stand-up guy, but thinks it’s his obligation; there’s no real connection or basic understanding. He says she deserves real love, not the imitation she’s settling for. Nelle says when she marries Michael, she’ll never have to settle again. He says money can’t make her happy; he can. She says she never saw the charm in being poor and in love. He asks if she’s admitting she loves him, but she says she didn’t admit to anything. He tells her to look him in the eye and say she doesn’t think about him. She says, what she thinks about, is getting everything she’s ever wanted with Michael. Chase says she deserves a guy who loves her for being herself. She’s empty inside, and thinks wealth and a big house will fill the void. If anything, she’ll feel more lonely than before. Michael will come to resent the marriage of convenience, and the glow will fizzle out. He’ll cut her loose, and claim his child. She’ll be alone again. Then what? He cares about her. He always has and always will. When it falls apart, and it will, what is she going to do. She starts to say, it depends on… but he grabs her and kisses her. Josslyn walks in, and gives the second-best face of the day.

Josslyn gasps, and Nelle says, get off me. Josslyn tells Chase to get away from her. He apologizes, and Nelle says she’s getting married. She loves Michael; leave her alone. Josslyn pushes him out. He says he was wrong, and hopes Nelle gets everything she deserves. Josslyn asks why he was there. Nelle says he pushed his way in, and tried to convince her to run away with him. Josslyn thinks she should tell Michael, and Nelle says she can later. Right now, she just wants to get married and be with Michael. They’ve been through enough. Josslyn says, whatever she wants, and Nelle thanks her. She says Josslyn is the best sister-in-law in the world. She’s lucky to have her.

Carly tells Doc that she used to complain she didn’t know where Morgan was going, and didn’t know what he did. When he left, she’d wonder if she said goodbye or I love you. Doc says Morgan knew how much she loved him. She says she found pieces of her beautiful baby boy. The night he died, he was confused and in pain, and she wasn’t there. She couldn’t protect Morgan. Michael is in danger, and she can’t protect him. He’s going to die. Doc says she’s just overwhelmed. He promises it will be okay. She says she has to help him, but doesn’t know what to do. Doc says he can give her something to help her anxiety, and tells her to breathe.

Doc comes out of Carly’s room, and tells Mary Pat that she’s suffering an acute panic attack, probably triggered by the wedding. Mary Pat thought as much, and Doc agrees a stronger dosage might be applicable.

Sam asks Brad what he thinks of Bobbie’s dress. Brad gives credit for well-thrown shade, but wonders if it’s dawned on anyone that Michael might want support. Jason asks to talk to Drew. Lucas wonders what that’s all about, and Brad says if there’s a fight, he bets Drew throws the first punch. Sam says there’s not going to be a fight. She hopes.

Jason tells Drew about Nelle’s last fiancé dying under questionable circumstances. He doesn’t want Michael to be next. Drew says they’re all living under the same roof. Jason says Nelle is good at staging accidents, and Drew promises to keep eye on things. He knows Jason cares about Michael, but he does too.

Mike wonders if Bobbie thinks it’s a wedding or funeral. He hopes Michael knows what he’s doing. Mike asks Sonny why Bobbie is mad, and Sonny says she doesn’t approve, but don’t worry about it. Michael asks for a moment with Sonny to get some marriage advice. Sonny tells him, don’t go through with the marriage, but he ants to talk about his mom. She called him. Sonny says Jason gave her a burner phone, and she took a chance. Michael says she begged him not marry Nelle, but he has to do this. Sonny explains that parents don’t always see their kids; they listen with their heart. His mom is afraid for him, and so is Sonny. Michael asks Sonny to visit Carly tomorrow, and reassure her that he knows what he’s doing, because he does.

Mary Pat says what a pity Carly is making a spectacle of herself on her son’s wedding day. She couldn’t hold it together and be happy. Instead, she had to make it about her. Self-absorption shows no evidence of recovery. She told Doc that his optimism was premature, but what does she know? She gets a syringe ready, and says Carly won’t be getting out anytime soon, but Carly grabs her arm and says, guess again.

Everyone takes their seats. Josslyn comes down the aisle, followed by Nelle. Nelle is wearing a sweet empire waist number, with bling at the waistline, a bow in back, and the cutest little lace cap sleeves.

Doc looks in on Carly, and sees someone sleeping under the blanket. What he doesn’t see, is the syringe on the floor.

Ned starts the ceremony. Chase scowls. Ned says if anyone can show just cause that they shouldn’t be joined together, speak now. Carly appears, and says, hell no. Her son is not getting married today. Bobbie smiles.

On Monday. Brad has news for Lucas about the baby. Griff thinks Ava is avoiding him, and Carly says Nelle is dangerous and deadly, and Michael can’t marry her.

😂 Bravo has been running mini marathons of Whose Line Is It Anyway? If you’ve never seen this show, you’re in for a treat. Featuring Aisha Tyler and Wayne Brady (one of my favorites), among others, it’s all improv, and one of the funniest shows ever. Not being talented in that area, it amazes me how clever this group can be off the tops of their heads. Using props, suggestions from the audience, and music, it will have you rofling in no time.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Maxie brings James home, accompanied by Obrecht and Nina. She stalls at the doorway, saying she and Nathan dreamed of this moment, now she can’t get her feet to move. Nina says they all dreamed of a different homecoming, and Obrecht says they must be strong for the little one. Nathan is alive in James’s smile and eyes full of love, and the heartbeat next to Maxie’s. To welcome him home, they have to enter his home. Maxie walks in, and welcomes him to the place his father was most alive.

At the hospital, Michael suggests he and Nelle get married today. Kim is ready for Nelle’s appointment, and Michael says it’s the homestretch. Any day now their little family will be complete.

Chase meets Finn at The Floating Rib. He’s surprised that Finn invited him. Finn says Chase keeps saying they should get together, and get to know each other, and here they are. Let the bonding begin.

Griff asks how Kiki is holding up. She says, better, since he agreed not to tell Alexis about them sleeping together. Griff isn’t totally convinced Alexis doesn’t need to know.

Scotty has news about Kiki and Griff, and tells Ava to brace herself. He didn’t see it coming. She says she already knows what he’s going to tell her.

Julian gives Sonny some espresso on the house. Sonny asks why he’s being generous. Julian says he wants to keep his supplier happy. He might be doubling his order in the next couple of months. He tells Sonny that business is good, and he’s been thinking about expanding. He wants to rip the building down to its foundation, and build something new. He says, enjoy the coffee, and steps away. Jason asks Sonny, once demolition starts, how long before they find the body?

Maxie shows James his daddy’s favorite place on the couch, and tells him about baseball. His daddy taught her, and she’ll teach him. Obrecht says she never got to feed Nathan, and asks to hold James. She cries, saying she’s his oma, and kisses his forehead.

Finn ask if Chase read The Severed Branch, thinking it might give Chase some insight into finding Peter. He asks if there’s been any sign, but Chase says it’s an ongoing investigation. Finn knows it’s been hard on Anna. She just found her son, and now he’s disappeared. Chase says, considering her connections, he thinks there are people higher up on the food chain keeping her posted. He asks if that’s why Finn asked to meet him, but Finn says he was just making conversation. The reason he wanted to see Chase was to give him a birthday present. Chase can’t believe it.

Sonny tells Julian the place looks great. Why go through the hassle of expansion? Julian says he’s not touching this room, but wants to make use of the back storerooms. People have requested private events. Sonny says it’s messy, and takes a long time; it could hurt business. Julian isn’t worried. He tends to another customer, and Jason says, the back room and patio; not good. The bigger the project, the bigger the chance the body is uncovered.

Ava tells Scotty to save the dramatics; Franco told her about the picture David has. Scotty flashes back to listening in on Kiki and Griff in the park. Ava says it’s David who’s on trial, not Kiki; it’s irrelevant. Scotty says he’s David’s attorney; he has to call out the behavior in question. Ava asks why drag in a third person? She doesn’t want him trying to blame the victim. Scotty says, as a defense attorney, he has to act like one. He’s legally obligated to bring forth evidence that the client gives – all of it.

Griff tells Kiki that he can’t promise to commit perjury. David comes by and says hello. Kiki says he’s not supposed to be talking to her, but he claims he’s just being polite, and pretty much calls her a peon. He says he needs to talk to Griff about a consult. Kiki leaves to shadow another doctor. Griff asks if it was necessary to humiliate her. David says any humiliation, like her allegations, is all of her own making.

Maxie tells James about the nursery and the blanket Nathan had sent. When she takes him into the other room, Nina tells Obrecht that she said beautiful things. Does she have more compassion? Will she give Peter more antibiotics? Obrecht asks if Nina is feeling sorry for him. She says she doesn’t want him to die, and Obrecht asks, what about Maxie? Nina says she doesn’t want him to die either. Obrecht points out how much Maxie misses Nathan, but Nina tells her, please don’t let it happen. She doesn’t don’t want him to die by their hands. Obrecht reluctantly leaves.

Maxie comes back, and tells Nina changing a boy is different than changing a girl. Nina says you have to act quick. Nina says Maxie should sleep when the baby sleeps, so she’s leaving. Maxie thanks her for everything. She didn’t know how she would make it through today without Nathan, but Nina and Obrecht stepped up for her. When she looks at James, she sees how much she has to be grateful for. Nina asks if she’s not bitter about Peter, and Maxie says it took a lot not to let darkness in. Nina asks how she’d feel if Peter died. Maxie says, a week ago, she’d throw a party, but realized she doesn’t want him to die. Nina says, even after what he took from her? Maxie says he made terrible choices that had terrible consequences, but he was also her friend. She’s calling him Peter, not Henrik, on purpose because she wants to believe he wanted to reinvent himself and start over. She thinks Nathan would have wanted it for him. He always saw the best in people. It’s his legacy, and she’s going to honor that and pass it to his son.

Wyatt is still working on untying Peter, who tells him to hurry. Wyatt says he’s still working on the badge. They hear Obrecht singing, and Peter tells Wyatt take the bugle and hide. Wyatt puts Peter’s gag back in, and hides under the bed. Obrecht comes in, and tells Peter that she held her grandson for the first time. It was a miracle. He’ll be growing up without a father because of Peter. She takes the gag out, and he asks how the baby is. She says if he cares, he’ll confess. Peter says, then she’ll kill him. She says now that she’s held the baby, the confession isn’t as important, but getting rid of him is. She needs solitude to contemplate her next step, and has to take some time to ponder his fate. She leaves, and Wyatt comes out. Peter tells him to go get help, and take Obrecht’s notebook. It might help people believe him. He tells Wyatt not to let Obrecht see him. Wyatt grabs the notebook, and jets.

Ava reminds Scotty that he’s supposed to throw David’s case. He says she’s put him in a precarious position; she has no idea. She says she wouldn’t be paying him a fortune if he wasn’t. Kiki is a victim, and now he’s going to shame and humiliate her in court? Scotty is sorry, and as a father, whatever he does will be as gently and with as little damage as possible. Ava leaves to check on Kiki.

Nelle and Michael come into The Floating Rib. Nelle is happy they’re getting married before the baby comes. Michael asks, why wait? They have a license. He can find a judge, and they can get married immediately. Nelle thought he didn’t want a justice of the peace, and wonders why they can’t have a real wedding. Michael says, because of him, and looks at Chase. He wants to get married as soon as possible to get rid of him.

Wyatt runs into the art therapy room. Franco asks him if he knows they don’t have a session today. Wyatt starts to babble, saying he went hiking and took the wrong trail. Franco suggests they take a breath together. They do, and Wyatt says he found a man tied up in cabin.

Obrecht returns to the cabin. She tells Peter that she’s realized he’s more trouble than he’s worth. The stroll she took cleared her head, and she thinks it’s better to cut her losses, so to speak. Peter takes this as meaning she’s going to kill him, and says she’ll get caught, sent to prison, and never see her grandson again. She sees the bugle and asks how it got there.

Maxie thanks Nina for today. Nina say Maxie is going through a lot, but coming through it like a champ. Maxie tells Nina that she and James love her. Nina loves them too.

Sonny tells Julian that he’ll make him an offer; buy him out. He can go bigger and nicer without the mess of construction. Julian says Jim made him an offer, and he wasn’t interested then or now. Sonny says he might run into trouble, and Julian says he’ll take his chances. Sonny tells him, the offer is on the table; think about it. He and Jason leave. Scotty tells Julian, when Sonny makes an offer, he usually thinks it’s a done deal. Julian says the building is his, so too bad. Scotty likes the way he thinks.

Outside, Sonny makes some calls.

Nelle tells Michael that Chase means nothing, but he says Chase means something to him. The sooner they can shove their marriage certificate in his face, the better. Nelle says they have no venue, she has no dress, and she’d like his family there to celebrate them starting their lives together. Michael wants that too, but doesn’t want to wait. Nelle has an idea. She gets up and goes to the bar. Michael and Chase exchange glances.

Chase can’t believe it. Two tickets to a double-header in Boston, including a hotel. He says it’s also the weekend that his parents will be in town. What’s not to love? Finn says he knew Chase loves the Sox, got them from a well-connected patient, and had no idea his parents would be visiting. Chase asks if he conveniently forgot, and Finn says he was just trying to do something special. Maybe can get another ticket, and the three of them can go. Chase says, in Boston instead of Port Charles. Finn claims he doesn’t spend a lot of time thinking about them, but Chase says their father said he ran into Finn in Berkeley, and he couldn’t get away fast enough. He wonders if it’s another way for Finn to avoid their father. It’s the nicest gift he’s ever had to turn down. Finn says, sorry it didn’t work out, tells Chase to have a nice birthday, and leaves.

Nelle comes back to the table, telling Michael that she talked to Olivia. She’s willing to close the restaurant, so they can get married there. She tells him to call a judge and his family – they’re getting married tomorrow. Michael jumps up like he’s Tom Cruise on Oprah, and says he can’t believe she pulled it together. He’s eager, and looking forward to, putting the past behind them, and focusing on the future.

Julian asks Scotty where he should start with the building project. Scotty tells him to get an architect first. Make sure everything checks out, and that he gets all the permits. Julian says it sounds like he’ll need an attorney, and Scotty says he can shoehorn Julian into his business schedule. Julian says, let’s get started.

Jason tells Sonny that Julian will need a permit and an inspection before he can make a move to begin demolition. Sonny says he can stall it, but not indefinitely. Sonny wants to have one more conversation with Mike to see if he can find out where the body is stashed. Felix comes running down the stairs, and tells Sonny there’s a problem with his father.

At the hospital, Ava finds Griff, who says it’s an unexpected surprise. She thought they should talk; she heard about the picture. Griff says, one friend comforting another on a bad day. She needs to look into his eyes to remember he’d never betray her. Kiki joins them, obviously upset. Ava asks her what’s wrong, and she says David is out to destroy her. She was supposed to shadow with Dr. Harper, but he had reservations about her demands. Ava says there must be another doctor (seriously, don’t they have any female doctors?), but Kiki says even if there’s someone else, David will still keep trying to sabotage her until he runs her out of the hospital. Maybe she should drop the lawsuit.

Obrecht asks Peter again where the bugle came from, and threatens to make him talk. Nina arrives, and says it’s hers.

Franco tells Wyatt that he doesn’t need to tell him a big story. Wyatt says, it’s not a story. The man said he was sick. He begs Franco, saying they have to try.

Nina tells Obrecht that she brought the bugle, and put it under the bed to keep it out of the way. Obrecht asks why, and Nina says it reminds her of summer camp; everyone had to play the bugle. I’ve never heard of that, although everyone in the fourth grade at my elementary school had to play a song flute. You could hear them throughout my neighborhood on warm nights. But I digress… Nina says she thought it could help them to warn each other in case they see someone suspicious, since there are a lot of camps in the area. They have a stressed-out hostage, and the bugle calms her. Obrecht hands her the bugle, and says, by all means. Nina tries to play it, and to her credit, she’s barely worse than Wyatt, but Obrecht says, enough

Wyatt tells Franco the guy is tied up to a bed, and Franco says, adults can be complicated. Wyatt says he’s not stupid, and he’s not making it up. Franco asks where the guy is exactly, and tells him to draw it.

Obrecht returns to the cabin, and Nina says Peter’s fever is spiking; the infection must be flaring up. Obrecht picks something up, and Nina tells her, put the hatchet away. I laugh. Obrecht says she can’t wait until the sequel is completed, and she doesn’t have to mollycoddle Peter. She wonders where her notebook is, and Peter cries out. Nina says, he’s practically delirious, and Obrecht says, fine. She’ll procure more antibiotics. She suggests Nina serenade their guest with more hideous bugle playing. When she’s gone, Peter asks Nina why she covered for him.

Max watches a Yankee game with James.

Sonny asks Felix what’s wrong with Mike, and Felix says he’s agitated, like he’s been thrown off his routine. Sonny says they’d been talking about old times; he thought it was supposed to help. Felix says Mike might be putting too much pressure on himself to remember things. He kept saying that he didn’t want to let Sonny down. Sonny says he’ll go see him, but Felix says he just calmed down. He’s going to do a puzzle with him. Perhaps quiet will help. He tells Sonny not to think he did anything wrong; the disease effects everyone differently. Felix goes back upstairs, and Sonny tells Jason that he’s going to have one more talk with Mike. They’ll find out tonight.

Ava says David has no right to treat Kiki that way. She tells Kiki not to drop the lawsuit. They’ll see who the liar is in court.

Peter tells Nina that he thought Obrecht was going to kill him. Nina says, that’s not what Maxie wants, and he asks if she knows he’s there. Nina says, no. She’s wrapped up in the baby, and as much as she hates it, Peter was Maxie’s friend, and was there for her when she needed someone the most. He tells Nina to let him go before her crazy aunt kills him.

Obrecht sneaks around the hospital. She cuts herself, and asks David for assistance.

Franco says Wyatt’s picture looks scary there, and he says it’s when the bad guy came back. Wyatt has drawn a looming shadowlike figure, and Franco asks what the bad guy looked like. Wyatt says it was a lady, but he couldn’t see her. She was really mad and talked funny. Franco says he thought Wyatt said she was scary, and Wyatt says, not funny like ha-ha, but funny like his friend’s mom, who comes from another country.

David gives Obrecht some medication, and she says, you can’t be too careful about infection.

Wyatt tells Franco that the man makes her angry, and she wants to hurt him. He’s lucky he hid under the bed. He says the man is in trouble. He’s tied up, and they’re the only ones who can help him. Franco says, she had an accent; anything else? Wyatt says he couldn’t see her face, but he saw her shoes. He draws them.

Finn asks what the hell Obrecht is doing at the hospital.

Ava tells Kiki she can do this. She’s not alone. Ava is by her side, and Griff is there for the day to day. She’ll always have a friendly face to see. Kiki wonders if there’s any way she can salvage the shadow position, and leaves to find out. Griff says Ava was impressive, and that she’s a good mother. She thanks him for being good to her daughter. He must be feeling pretty small right about now.

David sees Kiki in the hallway. He says he heard her new mentor isn’t in the shadow program anymore. How frustrating it must be for all her hard work to go to waste. Too bad she didn’t appreciate an opportunity when she saw it.

Sonny tells Jason that he should have stopped pushing about Croton. He doesn’t want Julian to be part of it, but his dad isn’t going to be the one to lead them to it.

Digging through an old box, Julian finds a picture of Mike and Charlie in 1983. He says, interesting.

Michael tells Nelle that he’ll track someone down to officiate. They kiss. Chase stares at them. When Michael leaves, Nelle approaches Chase. She says it looks like he was all wrong. Michael gave her a fabulous ring, and they’re getting married tomorrow. Too bad he can’t be there, but it’s family only. He can wish her congratulations now.

Michael calls Jordan. He tells her, Nelle took the bait. The wedding is on for tomorrow.

Chase tells Nelle, congratulations. She got everything she’s ever wanted. He asks if she wants the truth about her fiancé, and wants to know what’s really going to happen.

Franco thinks Wyatt should talk to Doc. As they walk down the hallway, they see Obrecht talking to Finn. Wyatt says, it’s her. She’s the villain; get her! Obrecht asks what’s wrong with that child. Franco says he recognizes her from a cabin in the woods. Wyatt says, see? She talks funny. It’s the voice he heard, and the shoes he saw. Obrecht tells them she doesn’t have the time for this nonsense, and gets in the elevator. Wyatt says they have to stop her, and Finn agrees that she’s scary. He asks what Wyatt thinks she did. Wyatt asks if Finn is her friend, and he says he hates her. Franco explains that Wyatt saw a man in a cabin in the woods. Wyatt says it was near his camp, and she’d tied the man up. Wyatt had left his bugle there, and he went back. The man says he’s sick, and they have to believe him. Finn says he does, and asks him to start at the beginning.

Peter is glad Maxie thought of him as a friend, although he knows it doesn’t mitigate anything. Nina tells him to stop talking about Maxie; she’s off-limits to him. He tells her the bugle belongs to a boy who found him, and is going to get help. Nina says just because he was found doesn’t mean anyone is coming back. He asks how long before Obrecht snaps? Free him now, and no matter what, he’ll never implicate her. There’s only one way out. Take it.

Wyatt gives Finn the notebook. He says he took it from the cabin. Finn flips through it. He says, it’s the characters from The Severed Branch, the book Peter published. Franco suggests maybe that’s what put it in the kid’s head; he likes to exaggerate. Finn says, let’s find out. Wyatt asks if Finn believes him, and Finn asks if Wyatt can tell him exactly where the cabin is.

Tomorrow, Carly talks to Doc, Michael tells Jason about the impending wedding, and Chase tells Nelle the marriage won’t work.

😎 A Deeper Thinker Than Most of Us…

The reason why these Jim Crow laws were in place have stifled my rights and your rights is because we fell asleep. We fall asleep when we’re moving ahead and we don’t look to the left and right and see that we’re not including people … Because really, at the end of the day, we only move forward when it doesn’t cost us anything. What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Sonny tells Jason that Carly is holding it together, even though that piece of trash couldn’t wait to tell her that she’s marrying Michael.

At the hospital, Nelle tells Michael she can’t wait to tell Kim about their engagement, since she’s one of the few who isn’t judgmental. She says maybe they could invite her to the wedding, since there won’t be many there to cheer them on. She doesn’t know what to do to break through with Carly. She thought telling her in person showed respect. Michael says she can’t keep reaching out when she knows it’s not going to work out. When comes to them, his mom isn’t ready yet.

Julian says Ava looks lost. She tells him that she’s thinking about a development in Kiki’s case. David has evidence to make it look like she’s GH’s top tramp. He has a picture of Griff and Kiki in each other’s arms.

Griff tells Kiki that he has a question about a chart. Not really; he just wants to talk privately. He tells her that she ran off before it was settled. She says, it’s settled. They’re not disclosing they slept together.

Lulu visits Maxie, and thanks Maxie for inviting her. Maxie is going crazy waiting for James to come home, and she knows Lulu must be missing Dante. She thought maybe they could help each other out, the way they used to.

Lulu says she needed this; hanging out, nowhere to be, no pressure. Maxie relates, saying she feels like she’s been running ten thousand miles an hour for a while. Maxie’s phone dings, and she tells Lulu that The Colonel is in town. She’s asked him to join them. The doorbell rings, and it’s Colonel Sanders. I’m not kidding. Apparently, he and Maxie are old friends. She introduces Lulu to him.

Peter lies on the bed in the cabin, his gag back in his mouth. Pioneer Scout Wyatt walks in, and asks Peter where his bugle is. He needs it back.

At the PCPD, Chase asks to talk to Jordan. He says he’s ready for the next step. She says assuming they get cooperation, but he thinks that shouldn’t be a problem.

Nelle explains to Michael that she wanted to show Carly that she’s committed to making him happy. Michael doesn’t want his mother to be a factor; their child should be their main focus. Nelle says Carly has been making him try to choose between them, but he says he’s at peace with his choice. He tells her not to worry about it. A nurse tells them that Kim is in delivery, and she’ll be about an hour. They decide to wait. Nelle tells Michael that she loves him, and gives him a kiss. He gets a text from Chase, asking him to come to the commissioner’s office asap. He makes up an excuse about work. Nelle was hoping for brunch, and he tells her to go ahead, giving her some money. She tells him it’s way too much, but he says nothing is too much for his bride-to-be. Plus, she’s eating for two. He leaves, and she looks skeptical.

Sonny tells Jason that Carly played it cool. You’d have thought she and Nelle were best friends. He was the one who wanted to go off on her. He told Rupert not to let her in again. Jason says he was smart to put Rupert on the payroll, but he doesn’t trust anyone at Ferncliff. He’s worried about Michael. Sonny is too; another fire he has to put out. Jason asks if something is up with the business. Sonny says, old business, that was supposed to be buried in a field in Croton.

Ava tells Julian that the picture was of Kiki and Griff hugging, not in bed. They work together. It was just a random shot; a friendly embrace. It was innocent, and not out of line. It’s foolish and destructive to be suspicious; she’s learned the hard way. Julian asks if something happened with Griff and Kiki. Ava remembers seeing them at the Nurses’ Ball. She tells Julian that she was referring to her relationship with Kiki. It’s on track, and she hates to see her hurt. Julian says David is going to blame the victim, and hire a tool to defend him. Speak of the devil.

Griff tells Kiki that he knows all about secrets; he used to hear confessions. The same way he couldn’t disclose what was said, neither can her lawyer. He says they have to be ready for being asked if they share anything more than friendship. Kiki suggests they not say anything, but Griff says he’s not going to jail for lying under oath, and neither is she.

Sonny tells Jason that one of Skully’s guys told Mike about a job he was doing, and Mike followed him to Croton. He dug up the grave, and took the body somewhere, so Sonny wouldn’t be implicated. Jason asks if Sonny is sure Mike remembers correctly, and Sonny says he knows how it is. One minute, Mike is clear, the next, he doesn’t know what he’s talking about. But this time, Sonny got a whole story, and the pieces fit. Jason asks where he moved it to, and Sonny says that’s the bad news. Mike was trying to protect him, and left incriminating evidence of a crime under Julian’s place of business.

Julian asks Scotty why he took the case. Scotty says he’s a defense lawyer, and he’s defending. He wants to talk to Ava, but Nelle arrives and asks Ava to have brunch with her; her treat. Julian tells Ava that he’s in the market for some artwork. Ava doesn’t think her merchandise matches his aesthetics, but he tells her that he’s doing a major renovation; and expansion.

Griff tells Kiki that Alexis is her attorney, and needs to be informed. Kiki says David harassed her, not him. Griff says she needs to walk in with nothing to hide. Telling Alexis is for her benefit. In classic soap timing, Alexis appears, and says, tell her what?

Jordan tells Chase that his plan is risky; it puts a civilian in danger. He says Michael is already in danger. He’s looked at it from all sides, and it’s the only way. Jordan asks if he’s sure he’s not too close. He says, close enough to have learned his lesson. Nelle got away with murder once; it can’t happen again. Michael joins them, and Jordan tells him nothing has been decided; it’s sill in the talking stage. He asks, about what? and she says, him. Michael asks why he’s there, and Chase says the plan involves putting him at risk. He’ll have to decide if it’s what he wants to do.

Wyatt tells Peter that the head Pioneer is going to kill him if he doesn’t find his bugle. Peter tells him it’s by the books, and fortunately, the woman holding him didn’t see it. Wyatt blows into the bugle – badly, I might add – and Peter tells him, don’t. Wyatt says he’s going, and Peter asks if he told anyone. Wyatt says, who would believe him?

As they have a KFC lunch, Maxie marvels at how crispy and easy The Colonel’s chicken is. She tells him that both she and Lulu have been crazy busy. She explains that Lulu is a reporter, and he says it’s a respected profession. Lulu says, not everyone feels that way. He tells them to enjoy what they’re doing, until they do the next thing, because he’s quite the philosopher. Maxie remarks on how much he does and how busy he is, yet he never seems stressed. Lulu asks how they know each other, and he says, it’s a whale of a tale. Lulu gets her notebook, but he wants it off the record. Just a conversation between friends. He tells them about how his secret recipe was once almost stolen when a contractor from the syndicate hacked into the mainframe. Is this the same syndicate that Sonny is from? Or maybe the Russian clinic? I’m not sure what to make of this.

Sonny tells Jason that Charlie Delaney was the original owner of the pub. He and Mike used to do some gambling. Mike knew the pub was being built, and asked Charlie for a favor. As long as no one tears up the foundation, it will be all right. Jason wonders about earthquake damage, and they decide to check it out.

Not one to turn down a free meal, Ava sits with Nelle. Julian tells Scotty he doesn’t give a damn about justice, but if there isn’t any in court with David, David will have to answer to him.

Nelle shows Ava her ring, saying once she got Carly out of the way, Michael came around. Ava congratulates her, and asks if they’ve set a date. Nelle says, not yet, but they’re hoping to be married before the baby comes. Ava says, then what? She marries Michael, gets named in the will, and takes him out kayaking?

Kiki tells Alexis that she was filling in Griff. She told him about the picture, and she’s worried they’ll both get smeared, it’s unfair, and makes her furious. Alexis agrees David’s tactics are disgusting. She asks Griff if he’s worried, and he says he’ll be fine; he’ll take the high road. Alexis asks him what the circumstances of the picture were. He tells her early on in the Shadow program, David was being harsh and unfair to Kiki; not treating her like a med student. She remained professional, removed herself from the situation, and he found her in tears. He gave her a hug to offer support. Alexis say it makes sense, and their stories match. Kiki says, of course. Why would she think they wouldn’t? Alexis has the feeling there’s something Kiki isn’t telling her.

Chase tells Michael that in asking Nelle to marry him, he’s already been put in jeopardy. When the dust settled, Chase’s career was nearly derailed, and Nelle got away with murder. Michael says he has his resources. Spinelli is a cyber genius. If there’s a trail, he’ll find it online. Chase says, in the meantime, he’s engaged to a woman who killed her last fiancé. Michael promises not to go out on the water, but Chase says Nelle is a master manipulator. She’s ruthless. He could fall in the bathroom, cut himself shaving, or OD. He can’t do it alone. She has him where she wants him, and she’s always one step ahead. He wants to turn the tables. Michael will be the one pulling her strings. Michael agrees, and asks what he has to do. Chase says he needs to die.

Scotty tells Julian he’s going to give David the best defense he’s capable of. However, even with his legal expertise – which he reminds Julian got him acquitted – he’s not as confident. Julian suggests it’s because he doesn’t have Ava doing some blackmailing, but Scotty says he doesn’t have to tell Julian what it’s like to cross Alexis.

Ava says a kayak is too obvious; Nelle will have to come up with a subtler way to be a rich widow. Nelle is surprised Ava believes the lies people have told about her. She thought they were friends. Ava says she took Nelle into her confidence, and under her wing, and Nelle repaid her with blackmail. She needs to realize that Ava will defend herself by whatever means necessary. Nelle says she would never hurt Michael; she loves him. Like Griff loves Ava. Or hasn’t he said it yet? Ava says that’s two strikes; don’t get to three. Michael is infatuated with her because she’s carrying his child. How long after the baby is born until he’ll be through with her. As for the blanket, she’ll keep it. (I missed a little of this conversation due to a dog distraction.)

Jason tells Sonny that he’ll access the basement. He asks if Mike mentioned a specific location. Sonny says Mike told him that they’d have to tear up the foundation to find it. Jason says he’ll see if everything is still intact.

Alexis asks if there’s something she needs to be made aware of. Kiki is worried about how it’s going to affect Ava. Alexis says victim shaming and blaming isn’t new. She’ll try to deflect what comes her way, but it’s not easy. Kiki says her mom isn’t perfect, but she didn’t cause the situation, and doesn’t deserve the fallout.

Wyatt tells Peter that people say he tells tall tales, so he didn’t say anything. Peter asks if he didn’t even try, and Wyatt says they’d tell him, mind your own business tattletale nerd. Peter says that’s not right, and Wyatt says they’d laugh. Peter asks if Wyatt can’t see that he’s really in trouble. He asks if the Pioneers don’t teach them to help people. Wyatt says they send socks overseas, and collect food for the hungry, but there’s no badge for a man tied to a bed.

The Colonel talks about how Maxie and Spinelli helped stop the hacker, but he had to assist them, since Spinelli didn’t know enough of the computer language. The Colonel had picked up enough to thwart the plan. Lulu wonders who kills for a chicken recipe, but The Colonel tells her, espionage of any kind can be lethal. Lulu wants to write about it, but he says he has a strict policy that the story stays off the record. He asks Maxie if she has a place to store valuables; a place no one would think to look. She shows him a book Spinelli gave her with a secret compartment. He’s afraid the syndicate isn’t done with him yet. He has to hide the secret recipe somewhere until things settle down. He says he’s trusting them both not to peek. Maxie says it’s unfair. Why can’t the syndicate leave him alone? He says, some syndicates can’t be reasoned with. He has to go because, people don’t stop eating chicken because of unscrupulous hackers. He kisses Lulu’s hand, and tells her to keep writing because, unlike recipes, some secrets need to be told. He tells them, stay crispy, and stay humble. After he leaves, Lulu says he’s the coolest person she’s ever met. I dunno about that, but it’s one of the weirdest scenes I’ve ever watched on this show. And yes, it was George Hamilton.

Nelle tells Ava that even if she deleted the photo, Ava wouldn’t believe her. She’d think Nelle saved it in the cloud or saved a copy. Ava says, insurance. The same reason she’s holding on to the blanket. Nelle still thinks of her as a friend, and says she would ask her to be maid of honor, if Josslyn hadn’t agreed already. Ava says Nelle is really sticking it to Carly. Nelle says she’d like to invite Ava to the wedding. Ava says she’ll come, but she’d better hurry before Michael changes his mind. Annoyed, Nelle tells Ava to pay for her own breakfast, and leaves. Scotty sits down, and says he has important information. She asks if it’s about Kiki’s trial, and he says, yes and no.

Sonny comes into Charlie’s. Julian says he just paid him, but Sonny claims he’s just seeing how the coffee selling. Julian says, see you next month, and Sonny says he’ll take an espresso. While Julian is getting it, Jason joins Sonny, telling him there’s nothing in the basement; no cracks. They’re in the clear for now.

Griff tells Alexis that Kiki is right. He’d hate to see Ava hurt if there’s any way to avoid it. Alexis says it’s not about Ava, and she’s tougher than they give her credit for. She tells Kiki to sit up straight, take a deep breath, get perspective, and know the picture is coming out, among other stuff. Forewarned is forearmed. She asks if they want her to tell Ava, but Kiki says they will. Alexis tells her there’s nothing worse than being left in the dark about something that affects a case.

Michael tells Chase, aside from being dangerous, it’s cruel to his family. Chase agrees, but if he wants Nelle to pay, he’ll have to live with it. Michael says he’ll do it. Jordan tells him to keep in touch, and Chase says to reach out if he needs anything. Michael appreciates it, but they don’t want thanks for doing their jobs. Jordan says they tend to frown on people getting away with murder. Chase says, this time, she won’t get away.

Lulu asks if Maxie knew The Colonel was coming. Maxie says she kept her fingers crossed, and it worked out. He’s been everywhere, and done everything. She thought Lulu was the perfect person to meet him and hear his stories. Lulu says she loved it, but the best thing was seeing Maxie. The hospital calls Maxie.  James is coming home, and she tells Lulu to call Obrecht and Nina. It’s the best day ever.

Peter asks Wyatt if the Pioneers talk about initiative, explaining that it means getting personally involved, rather than hanging back and being told what to do. It’s important in helping people. He understands Wyatt thinks he’d be doubted, but they would be wrong. He is being held prisoner. Wyatt would be showing initiative. Because he’s the stupidest kid on the planet, Wyatt says he’s not supposed to talk to strangers. Peter tells him to bring them there. Wyatt thinks they’d have to believe him first. He tells Peter that he did show initiative in one way. He brought s’mores. Peter is like, omg, food, and asks how can he eat while he’s tied up? He says Wyatt will have to untie him – unless he thinks the knots are too difficult. He finally hits he kid where he lives. Wyatt says there’s a whole chapter on them in the Pioneer handbook. Wyatt gets to work, and Peter smiles.

Ava tells Scotty that she’s going to make sure David gets what he deserves. He says it just got more complicated. He has some news, and doesn’t know how to tell her about Kiki and Griff.

Kiki thanks Griff, but he says, don’t. He doesn’t feel good about it. She says it was a one-night mistake. If neither one of them tell, no one will ever find out. She walks away, and the usually worried-looking Griff looks more disgusted than pained.

Jordan tells Chase to go over every possibility three times before making a move. She doesn’t want Michael coming out with even a sprained ankle. Chase says it’s his fault Michael is in this position, and Zack’s family never got justice for his death. He doesn’t cut corners, break rules, or violate procedure. By the time Nelle is turned over to the police, the case will be airtight.

Back at the hospital, Michael tells Nelle that he cleared his entire day. She says she ran into someone who’s convinced he’ll never marry her. He suggests they prove the naysayers wrong and get married today.

Jason tells Sonny that they’re still at risk until they find what they’re looking for, and eliminate the problem. Sonny says that’s good in theory, but it doesn’t always work. Julian gives Sonny his coffee, and says he might have to double his order next month. Business is good, and he’s thinking about expanding; ripping the pub down to the foundation, and building something new. He’s pretty optimistic if he thinks he can do that in a month. He tells Sonny to enjoy his coffee. It’s on the house. Sonny sighs, and Jason shakes his head.

On Monday, Finn tells Chase to let the bonding begin, Scout Wyatt tells Franco about Peter, and Maxie doesn’t want Peter to die.

🎭 Quotes of the Week – From the Deep to the Shallow End

At every moment in every person’s life there is work to be done, always work to be done, some of it small, some of it Great. The Great Work, in a sense, always has to do with healing the world, changing the world, and, as a necessary predicate to that, understanding the world. You rise every morning aware that you are called to this work. You won’t live to see it finished. But if you can’t hear it calling, you aren’t listening hard enough. It’s always calling, sometimes in a big voice, sometimes in a quiet voice.Tony Kushner, American Playwright

You googled, so now you’re dying from something. – Pao’s doctor, 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?

Everything is as good or as bad as our opinion makes it.C.S. Lewis, from Till We Have Faces

Do it again, and I’ll relieve you of your most precious organ and feed it to you. Although it won’t make much of a meal. – Maeve (Thandie Newton), Westworld

It was remarkable. In the worst possible way. – home inspector, Hoarding: Buried Alive

Sharks are racist as hell. Why do you think we call them great whites? – Earl (Garrett Morris), 2 Broke Girls

They might have thought they met some stupid Americans, but things are about to get a little bit more stupider. – Chantel’s mother, 90 Day Fiancé Happily Ever After? This goes down in my Quote Hall of Fame as one of my favorites.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

At Sonny’s place, Milo tells Mike about Lucy losing her clothes at the Nurses’ Ball. Mike asks if Sonny was ever part of the Magic Milo act, but Sonny says he leaves the stripping to the professionals.

Stella asks Griff about a patient. The form is illegible, and there’s no barcode. Griff says he saw the patient in the ER, and things were rough. Stella tells him she was hired to provide social services, not to translate the Rosetta Stone; meet her halfway. He’s abrupt with her, and she tells him the fact that he has a medical degree doesn’t entitle him to impose on anyone.

At Charlie’s, Julian looks at article in the Port Charles Press naming David as Kiki’s harasser. He tells Ava that he can’t believe it. He needs to decide what to do. Ava asks, decide about what? and he says, how many pieces he’s going to be in when he’s found.

Franco startles Scotty at the park, and Scotty asks if he wants to get the life insurance to pay his wedding bills. He doesn’t understand why Franco set up a meeting with him, and Franco wonders why Scotty wanted it to be in the park. Scotty says he can’t be too careful. They have him double crossing his own client. Franco says that David should have thought twice before harassing Kiki. Now he’s going to get what he deserves. Scotty tells him not to be so sure about that. David just gave him a piece of evidence that will put Kiki in the crosshairs.

Kiki meets Alexis at The Floating Rib. She tells Alexis that she got her hours slashed, while David gets to keep living his life like nothing happened. Alexis tells her not if she has anything to say about it.

Kim and Oscar walk into Charlie’s. Oscar is wearing a dress shirt and tie, and Julian tells him he looks good, and Oscar thanks him in a snarky way. Kim explains that it’s the first day of Oscar’s internship. Julian says he’ll bring some breakfast, but Oscar says he can’t eat. He just saw something that made him nauseous. Julian says, one ginger ale coming up, and Kim tells Julian to surprise her. She asks if Oscar is ready, and he says he’s ready for her to stop wasting time with Julian.

On the phone in his office, Drew tells someone that the company is covered if David sues. Sam comes by, and asks if he has a minute.

Kim tells Oscar that she won’t tolerate him being rude to Julian or anyone else. He says she still has feelings for Drew, and she says she has feelings for Julian that are reciprocated. Oscar says Drew can’t help it if he doesn’t remember his feelings for her. Kim tells him it’s natural to want his parents to be together, but wanting something doesn’t mean it will happen. Oscar thinks she and Drew have been conferring, and asks what Drew said about him.

Sam tells Drew that they’re not sure if Peter left town voluntarily or was abducted. Drew knows that Jordan hired her and Curtis, and asks how she’s liking her new job. She says it’s going slow, but she likes it a lot. They’re looking into the motive of revenge. Drew doesn’t think he can help, but Sam says he worked closer with Peter than she did. She asks if he mentioned an enemy. Drew doesn’t think Peter ever talked about much that was personal, and for sure nothing negative. Sam says she’s worried about Drew. Peter told her that he was going to do a memory reversal procedure with Andre, and had offered him the flash drive in exchange for breaking him out. He’d said Drew turned him down, and was going to do the procedure without it. Drew says, that was the plan. She hopes he’s changed his mind, and he says he decided it wasn’t worth the risk. He couldn’t do it to the kids. Sam says he made the right choice. She thinks he’s great exactly as he is, and Scout and Oscar love having him as a father. Drew says he owed it to them not to live in limbo. He says today is the start of a new life. He got the papers, and it’s official. They’re divorced.

Kiki tells Alexis that she’s made notes on every close encounter with David. Alexis says it will be helpful in structuring the case, but no more publicity. If Lulu wants a follow-up, tell her to wait until the trial starts. Kiki says the waiting makes her anxious, but Alexis says it will give her more time for putting the case together. With Francesca’s cooperation, she’s feeling more confident, but it will still be an ordeal. She believes with their poised and careful testimony, the jury will throw the book at David. Alexis gets a call from Franco. He’s looking at the picture of Griff and Kiki hugging, and says Scotty showed him something that could have an effect on Kiki’s case, and not in a good way.

Milo tells Mike that Epiphany is his biggest fan, but he had to tell her dollar bills don’t cut it. He doesn’t come cheap. Mike asks if Sonny knows Milo, and Milo says they go way back. Sonny asks if Mike took his meds today, and Mike asks if Sonny is checking up on him. Milo says that’s what families are for, and Sonny says he’s been checking on Mike for a long time. Mike leaves to take his medication, and Sonny tells Milo that he’s sorry. Milo tells him not to apologize. Mike is doing better than his mother did. She also had Alzheimer’s.

Drew says, papers are filed, and boom, two people who were once in love are no longer married. Sam starts to cry, and apologizes. She says she thought they should share Scout equally. He asks why she’s giving up Aurora, and she says she thinks it’s best for the company to have a sole owner; it cuts out the uncertainties, since Peter turned out to be a fraud. He says he can handle the fallout from Peter. Why give up something that’s half hers? Sam says Drew made it for them to run together, but they’re not together anymore. She thinks it’s best for the company – and them – to have a clean split. He guesses that’s it then, but she says, not quite.

Oscar asks Kim again what Drew said about him, and she says, next to nothing, but they agreed the past is in the past. In the here and now, they’re his parents and love him. They want to help in making choices that are best for him, but that’s as far as it goes; they have separate lives. Oscar says he’s glad she cleared it up. He tells her that he doesn’t want to be late, and gets up. She says she’ll tell Julian they’re leaving, but he says, stay with Julian. He’d rather walk.

Julian tells Ava that Oscar’s not his biggest fan. Ava is glad he’s willing to spill blood for Kiki, but wants him to stay out of it. She’s going to see how the trial shakes out. He asks what if it doesn’t go her way? She says then she’ll put David in his place. If the justice system fails, she has a plan.

Alexis tells Kiki there’s good news and bad news. The good news is that they got a leg up on Scotty’s defense. The bad news is the defense is going to portray her as a slut who asked for it.

Milo tells Sonny that his mom passed away two years ago. Sonny wishes Milo had told him, but Milo didn’t want to be a burden. Sonny says she was young, and Milo says, it can go that way, especially with women. Although she wasn’t Max’s mom, he and his family helped, and Diane found a good care facility. He doesn’t know what would have done without Epiphany. She got him to a place where he could talk about it. Sonny asks if there’s anything he can do for Milo, and Milo says, learn from his mistakes. The disease is relentless. The end is predictable, but the day to day, not so much. He tells Sonny to be with his father, enjoy the moments, and don’t be too proud to ask for help. There’s nothing bad about it. We all get weepy, and Sonny hugs Milo.

Milo says that Max asked him to drop something off, since he’s at the dentist. He gives Sonny an envelope, and says Max told him it’s everything he could find on the thing Sonny asked him to look into. Sonny says, he can’t get more vague, and Milo thinks that was the point. Sonny asks him to tell Epiphany that he owes her for supporting Milo, and he owes Milo for telling him about his mom. Talking to someone who understands it, helps.

Kiki realizes that David took the photo, and Alexis says he keeps out creeping himself. It was taken at GH, and the hugging wasn’t sexual, but it’s close. Kiki asks when it was taken, and Alexis tells her on April 24th. Kiki says, that was before. When Alexis asks, before what? Kiki says the Nurses’ Ball. Griff was comforting her after David’s harassment. Alexis asks Kiki if there’s anything she should know. It’s not be good be blindsided during the trial.

Griff has another referral for Stella. She says it’s legible and he found a bar code. He promises to be more careful in the future, and tells her, for the record, he doesn’t think having a medical degree entitles him to impose on her or anyone. He says a lot of male staffers are worried about Kiki’s allegations, but their silence isn’t consent. They don’t like a colleague imposing unwanted advances on anyone. He wishes they’d opened their eyes before this happened.

Scotty tells Franco that he just shared privileged information with him, and Kiki is a big girl. Franco says, it doesn’t matter how old she is, and Scotty says it sounds like he’s familiar with the experience.

Kim introduces herself to Ava. Ava says it’s about time. She wondered what gave Julian the extra spring in his step. Julian says, look no further.

Sam tells Drew that she’s sorry the vows they said didn’t last, but she’s not sorry they made them. She’s grateful for their time together. He saved her life, and helped bring their daughter into the world, and she’s grateful they’ll always be bonding over her. Drew says he’s grateful for the love they shared. He’s sorry it has to end this way. Sam is too, but she had to stand on her own and start over for the kids and herself. She misses what they had, and thinks she always will. She says it’s a new start for the both of them. She gives him her rings, and hopes it’s a good one. Drew says a lot of things went wrong, but the rings represent real love. He asks her to hold on to them for Scout. They hug, and he tells her it’s going to be okay.

Scotty tells Franco it looks like he struck a chord. Franco says, you know what they say about a broken clock. (I had to look this up – it’s right twice a day.) He tells Scotty not to be like that, and Scotty says, like what? Concerned, interested, dare he say fatherly? He knows Franco thinks he’s a deadbeat because he came into Franco’s life later. He’s tried to help, but Franco has a cloud hanging over his head, and it’s noticeable. He says Franco has an inner circle, but he can’t get in there. Franco admits he hasn’t shared a rather sizable demon. Scotty asks if Franco doesn’t trust him, and Franco says, if he does, it might change things. Is Scotty ready for that? Scotty says he is. Franco tells him that he didn’t have anyone like him when he was little. Just Drew and Betsy, who wasn’t equipped to deal with what was happening, and he was just a little kid.

Oscar goes to Drew’s office. Drew says they have a busy day ahead. First, he’s going to meet the head of the press, and going to shadow him. Then they’ll poke into the newsroom, but there’s some clerical stuff to take care of first. It’s not exciting, but it’s important. Drew notices that something is wrong, and asks, what’s going on? Oscar wonders if he ran the itinerary by his mom, since they report to each other behind his back.

Kiki tells Alexis that she’s already given her all sexual history, and asks if she should make a PowerPoint presentation for the jury. Alexis says she’s looking for a bad relationship that could be used to support her as the aggressor. Kiki says she never came on to or slept with someone as part of an agenda. Alexis says the last thing they need is a surprise, and Kiki says, there won’t be one.

Mike comes back downstairs. Sonny asks if he took his meds, and he says, yes, nurse. He asks what happened to Milo, and Sonny says he had to leave. Mike says Milo is a great kid, and Sonny says Milo and his mom have been taking care of his family for a long time. Mike says, unlike Sonny’s father, who didn’t take care of him. Sonny says sometimes he did. He followed him to Croton. Mike tells him to forget about it, but Sonny says, it’s important. Where did Mike take the body?

Scotty tells Franco the dark cloud is starting to make sense. He wishes his own father was there. He would know what to say, since Scotty isn’t equipped to handle it. He’s sorry Franco was hurt, and wishes he could have stopped it or helped him. He says he’s sorry, and Franco says he appreciates it, and thanks him. Scotty says if he gets something on David, he’ll let him know. They hug.

Kiki tells Griff she needs to talk to him away from the hospital.

Ava tells Kim that they should have dinner. Maybe Griff could come; she’s been wanting to get the boys together to have a good time. Kim says the last double-date she was on was in high school. She got food poisoning, and she’d like another shot at it. They decide to come up with a date that fits all of their schedules.

Drew tells Oscar that he doesn’t report to Oscar’s mom. Oscar says, if you say so. Drew says it’s important that Oscar respect him, and he didn’t betray any confidence. Oscar asks why he told her that Oscar wanted them back together. Drew says after the awards ceremony at Kelly’s, Kim wondered why Oscar had suddenly soured on Julian, and realized it was because he wanted them together. Drew didn’t confirm or deny. Oscar says he’s not a lawyer; he’s Drew’s son. Drew says it’s not exactly a secret that he doesn’t want Julian with his mom, and it was easy to presume. He told Kim that it was a natural thing to want. They have their own lives, but they both love him. They have that in common, but that’s as far as it goes.

Sam sees Alexis, and says she’s checking in. Alexis asks, as a daughter or a client? and Sam says, both. She just found out the divorce papers were executed. Alexis tells her that she knew they went out today, and if she checks her voicemail, there’s a message about it. Alexis wanted Sam to hear it from her first. She asks if Sam is okay; she wants the truth.

Mike talks about doing some small-time jobs for Charlie’s family, and Sonny asks if he went to the city after Croton. Mike says it was decades ago, and Sonny says there’s no statute of limitations for murder. Mike says he saw Sonny bury it, and he moved it; why isn’t that enough? Sonny says Mike told him that he moved it closer to home. Did he move it to Port Charles?

👿 Here’s where ABC breaks in to tell me that Scott Pruitt resigned. Because it can’t wait ten minutes. This time, I tried to go legit, using the ABC website to fill it in – they did come back for the tail end – but I had to watch fifty commercials just to get five minutes worth of show. I think next time I’ll continue to go rogue and use the pirated version. Sorry Clorox, BMW, and Secret antiperspirant.

Drew tells Oscar that he was just trying to get on the same page as his mom. Oscar says he’s sorry for snapping. Drew says it’s no one’s fault. His mom did a fantastic job of raising him. Drew promises he won’t tell her anything said in confidence.

Sam tells Alexis that the day Drew left her, he got in a fight with Jason. The PCPD called her, and she went down to the station to pay his bail. When he came out, he just walked past her, and she felt like no one, nothing. She guesses it was rock bottom, so when Alexis asks how she feels, she’s devastated that her marriage is over, but thinks she made right choice. They can both move on with their lives. Alexis asks if she can do anything to make it easier, and Sam says she’s the best mom and lawyer a girl could ask for. Alexis says she’d better be if she’s going to win Kiki’s case. It’s a little tricky, but she had a breakthrough this morning. Sam asks why she’s worried then, and Alexis tells Sam that she’s assuming her client is keeping something from her.

Franco tells Ava that Scotty agreed to reach out to Alexis and share tactics, so they know how David is spinning things. Ava says their strategy appears to be working’ they might not have to use drastic measures. Franco tells her about David having a photo he took of Kiki and Griff. Ava wonders, what photo?

Griff meets Kiki in the park, and asks, what’s going on? She tells him that David took a photo of them hugging. She doesn’t want him to be blindsided on the stand, and says they’ll also have to be prepared for her mom to ask questions. She says Alexis bought her explanation, and he asks if Alexis knows what happened. Kiki says she didn’t tell her; it has nothing to do with the case. Griff thinks it might help her fight the case. Kiki tells him there’s an old saying that three can keep a secret if two are dead. She adds that if her mom finds out about them, they might as well be dead. Scotty is listening in from behind a tree. I realize that lawyers could spin something like this, but I fail to see how it would be unusual for Kiki to hug Griff. He’s her mother’s boyfriend, and technically, as well as weirdly, could become her stepfather if he and Ava ended up getting married.

Kim asks Julian what all the boxes are for. He says he’s been cleaning out the back room. He wants to see if it can be expanded to give him more private space.

Sonny tells Mike the foundation of the pub was laid the same year he turned eighteen. The same year he buried the body and Mike moved it. He asks if Charlie helped Mike, and Mike says Sonny had a problem and they took care of it. Sonny says, it’s in the pub, isn’t it?

Kim tells Julian that he’ll never know what he might find under the façade. Old buildings are loaded with quirks. He says, whatever is buried in these walls, he can handle it.

Mike tells Sonny that the Feds would have to bust up the foundation to find the body.

I am loving this dead body storyline.

Tomorrow, Maxie says maybe she and Lulu can help each other like they used to, Ava tells Nelle that she’ll defend herself by any means necessary, and Peter asks if anyone was told he’s there. I assume the Scout came back for his bugle.

🐒🐐🐪 If you love animals, I highly recommend My Wild Life on TLC. Bobbie Jo and Jerry Abrams have a blended family all under one roof… three children, nanny, Naa Naa and 81 fur babies. The animal siblings include, a zebra, camel, kangaroos, llamas, wallabies and a recently adopted sloth. While there’s been some concern from animal rights groups about such a variety of animals living together, it looks like it works for them. Their website also states: We are a USDA licensed facility and highly trained to care for each of our unique animals. All of them are up to date on their shots and received lots of daily attention from our staff. Just don’t try this at home. I think the first season might be over, as I saw a couple of reruns late night, and don’t see it listed in the guide right now, but you can watch episodes for free here:

☝ One Good Quote…

Even though you may want to move forward in your life, you may have one foot on the brakes. In order to be free, we must learn how to let go. Release the hurt. Release the fear. Refuse to entertain your old pain. The energy it takes to hang onto the past is holding you back from a new life. What is it you would let go of today?Mary Manin Morrissey

🎡 The Fourth…

Tonight’s Southern Charm was a rerun from last week. I was actually kind of glad. I didn’t mind watching Ashley make a fool of herself at the polo match again, and while I can’t wait to watch her make a supreme fool out of herself at Patricia’s Winter Wonderland Ball, I’m happy to call it an early night. There’s been a heat wave, it’s not burning in my heart, and I spent way too much time on the boardwalk yesterday at the annual Oceanfest. It’s really a glorified flea market, with the addition of sand sculptures and fireworks, but it’s a tradition in our household. We never stick around for the fireworks, because, our dogs. It wasn’t too horrible this year. We blasted music and talked very loudly with each other, and now the dogs are afraid of us instead. JUST KIDDING. But it worked. Along with the grilled hamburger we occasionally slipped them.

Nelle says, someone is in a bad mood, but she has news to make Carly’s day. She’s been thinking long and hard about the damage that’s been done, and has one way to make better. Nelle says she forgives Carly.

Michael tells Jason and Sonny that his mom warned him about Nelle, and he has to pay for his mistakes.  paying for his mistakes. Sonny doesn’t see it that way, and wants to protect Michael. Michael says Sonny has; now it’s his turn. He’s going into the marriage with his eyes wide open. Sonny says, it’s a losing battle. Michael says to tell Carly it’s going to be okay. Even if he’s lying, say he believes in Michael.

Terry doesn’t want to intrude, but Elizabeth and Franco ask her to stay. Terry asks if Franco is weirded out, but he says he’s relieved. He had been a little jealous. Terry appreciates the candor, and Franco says Elizabeth could have clued him in to… Terry explains it’s called gender transition, and that Elizabeth didn’t know. They drink to surprises.

Lucas and Brad talk about including everyone in family gatherings, and ask Sam if she’ll be there. She says Danny loves being a big brother, and will take on a new cousin like a champ. Brad says this is really happening.

Kim asks if Julian wants to talk about it. He wonders what there is to talk about. She says his son and daughter are there, and not even looking in his direction. He’s glad they’re spending time together. He’d like to be a part of it, but thinks it’s too late to be a father to them. Kim disagrees, at least with Lucas. Maybe he can’t be a full-fledged father, but he can have a relationship. She saw them at the hospital, and it’s not lost on Lucas how hard he’s tried. She thinks he has a chance.

Josslyn says Oscar seems bummed. He tells her that he hates his mom being with Julian. He knows things are hard for Josslyn with her family right now, but Josslyn says they can’t do anything about their moms tonight, so they should enjoy what they can control. They have an awesome spot for the fireworks. They kiss, and Cameron appears, asking if he’s interrupting.

Carly can’t believe Nelle came all that way just to say she forgives her. Nelle says it’s an important part of healing. Carly says making peace means so much to her. Being in there isn’t ideal, but she sees how much she needed it, and is going to do whatever work it takes to get back to her family. Nelle says, ever growing family, and Carly asks how she’s feeling. Nelle says, wonderful. Michael is waiting on her hand and foot. The pregnancy went by quickly, and there’s been a lot going on. Carly says Nelle has been busy, but Nelle says, never too busy for her.

Sonny tells Michael that he does believe in him, and to take care of himself. Jason tells Michael these are not normal circumstance. Nelle will do anything to get what she wants. Michael says, she wants him. Sonny says they don’t know what she’ll do now. He and Jason explain about the flyer, and how Nelle was trying to make Carly believe his brother was still alive. There’s no line Nelle won’t cross. Michael says he’s smart enough to call for help if he needs it. Sonny has to go, and tells Michael to be careful. After he leaves, Jason asks Michael why the hell he’s marrying Nelle.

Brad thinks it’s the perfect time, and Sam asks, for what? Lucas says they would be grateful if she’d be their baby’s godmother. She’s an amazing mom, and they know if it came to it, she’d go to the ends of the earth for their kid. She’s in, and they make a toast to the godmother. Julian approaches the table, and hopes the baby arrives safely, healthy, and happy. They thank him, and he says he wants it for both their families. Lucas says they’ll let him know when the baby arrives. He goes back to his table, and Sam says her first order of business as godmother is to advise they don’t let Julian in the baby’s life.

Terry says she wasn’t brave; she was scared to death. Elizabeth says that’s why she’s so brave. Franco asks if there was a turning point, and Terry says the older she got, the more trapped she felt, until she couldn’t stand it. Elizabeth can’t believe Terry didn’t tell her. Terry says back then, she just felt like something was off, but she was comfortable and could be herself with Elizabeth. Elizabeth wishes she’d been there to offer support, and Terry says she didn’t know. Elizabeth asks about her parents. Terry tells her, at first, they didn’t know what was happening. Terry acted out with negative behaviors, and they just wanted her to get better, but when it meant that they had to acknowledge she was a girl, no one wanted it. Least of all her brother.

Josslyn explains to Oscar that she and Cameron grew up together. Cameran tells him how they got married in elementary school, and Josslyn ate the licorice ring. Cameron asks how Oscar likes Port Charles, and Oscar says Josslyn has been showing him the ropes. Cameron tells them he’s life-guarding this summer. Josslyn says Oscar has an internship with his dad, and she’ll be reporting for duty as a camp counselor. Cameron says they can hang out.

Nelle gets Carly some water. She says she’s been spending time with Josslyn; they have special bond. Josslyn is excited about becoming aunt. Carly says Josslyn is growing up, and Nelle says, in more ways than one. Carly asks what that means. Nelle says Josslyn confided in her about her relationship with Oscar. It sounds like things are heating up. She hopes Carly doesn’t mind, but she took Josslyn to buy some lingerie; nothing trashy, but age appropriate. Whatever that means at age fourteen. Carly says she trusts Nelle implicitly, and Nelle says then she won’t mind that she asked Josslyn to be her maid of honor. Michael proposed. She asks if she can call Carly mom. Carly says she’s speechless. Nelle says she couldn’t believe it either. The alone time brought them closer with no interference. Carly asks when, and Nelle says, as soon as possible. They’re going to be a true family from the start. Carly thinks it’s amazing. Getting married for the sake of baby is great, although those marriages don’t always last. She married AJ for Michael’s sake. Nelle asks if Carly doesn’t think Michael will love her, and Carly says he put a ring on it, but just because a couple can make a baby doesn’t mean they should be married. Nelle says, not her and Michael, and Carly tells Nelle that she’s right. Rupert tells Carly she has another visitor. Sonny asks what the hell Nelle doing there.

Michael tells Jason to let Nelle think her plan worked, and that he’s in love with her. Over-confident people make mistakes. Jason says she killed her last fiancé; he’s risking his life. Michael says he gets it. Nelle is dangerous and evil and all those things. He’s not pretending she isn’t, but she’s carrying his child. She put his mother, and Jason’s best friend, in an institution. There’s no limit to what she’ll do, but she’s not playing him again. It’s his turn, and he guarantees he’ll win.

Sam tells Lucas he has an I-feel-bad-for-dad face. Lucas says Julian did what he wanted, and respected the boundaries. Sam needs to stand down. Sam says, not when it comes to Julian. She strongly suggests he do the same.

Kim tells Julian that wasn’t so bad, but he says he can feel the arctic chill. He doesn’t expect things to change. He’s concerned about Lucas not knowing anything about the birth mother though. She can snatch the baby back at any minute, and he doesn’t want Lucas robbed of the chance to be a father.

Terry tells Elizabeth that her brother hasn’t spoken to her since her transition. Elizabeth says she must have felt betrayed. Terry says he thinks she just decided she was over being a boy, and would rather be a girl, but she was finally reconciling her physical and emotional sides. Franco says she was freed to be seen for who she really is. He gets it. He knows the pain of rejection. They agree it stinks.

Carly tells Sonny that Nelle came to tell her that she and Michael are getting married. Sonny thought she was getting her ring sized. Nelle says the jeweler is close by. Sonny says he can’t stop the marriage, but he’s not letting her get in his wife’s face. Nelle says she’s glad to brighten Carly’s day. Carly tells her to give Michael a hug, and when she’s gone, tells Sonny, this is not happening.

Michael tells Jason the mistakes his parents have made were because they let emotions get in the way. The baby is 100% innocent, and he’s going to protect it at all costs. He needs to make Nelle feel comfortable, secure, and loved as long as it takes to exonerate his mom. Right now, he needs to focus on the baby. Jason says he couldn’t do it, and respects him for that. He tells Michael that every time he lies, it will cost him. Michael says he knows it, and Jason tells him not to give up his soul for her. Make sure he can live with his choices. Michael says he can live with anything, as long as his mom and the baby are safe.

Kim realizes that’s why Julian wanted to know about the records. He says he wants to know the deal with the birth mother – and father. Does the father even know? He doesn’t want anyone hurt in this scenario, especially his son. Kim tells him that he’s not a party. As much as it stinks, it’s out of his control. She asks, given his experience, if it’s hard to be with her because of what she did to Drew.

Lucas tells Sam that he loves and is grateful to her. They drink to the baby.

Jason goes to the footbridge.

Elizabeth wishes she’d been there, and Terry asks if she thinks she could have talked sense into her brother Sean. Elizabeth says she could have been a friend and listened. Terry says she’s doing that now, but Elisabeth wonders why Terry didn’t confide in her sooner. Terry says for one thing, she was gone, and Elizabeth was her Biz. She couldn’t stand the thought of rejection. Elizabeth realizes Terry thought she wouldn’t accept her.

Cameron has camp training early, and leaves. Oscar says he seems like an okay guy, but he’s not going to lie. He likes it being just the two of them. Josslyn says, her too.

Carly tells Sonny that Nelle is dangerous. He says Michael knows, but she says Nelle is psychotic dangerous. She’s a sociopath who killed her last fiancé. Does Sonny want Michael to go next? Carly tells him that he has to do whatever it takes to stop it.

Julian says he doesn’t judge Kim’s choices about Oscar. The situation is different. She wasn’t trying to keep Drew from his son. She says she could have worked harder. He says she did the best she could. She did what was necessary, and he respects her decisions. She says, then instead of jumping to the worst case scenario with the biological parents, he should think that they’re doing what’s in the best interest of their child; giving them to a good home. Julian says he wasn’t able to protect Lucas growing up, and doesn’t want him to get hurt. Kim says, getting hurt is part of the job. He thanks her for listening. He appreciates her solid advice – and her.

Terry tells Elizabeth that she’s knocked on a few doors, and not many have been as warm and welcoming. Elizabeth says Terry is her friend. She loves her, and nothing will change that. She asks if Terry would like to stay with them, but she has a consult in morning. Elizabeth is excited that she’ll be working at GH, and says she has to come to the wedding. Terry is her oldest friend. Terry agrees, as long as Elizabeth stops calling her old. She’s happy Elizabeth found Franco. She tells Franco that Elizabeth has a huge, compassionate heart that was meant to be shared with someone like him. He says he’s a lucky guy, and grateful. Terry leaves, and Franco hugs Elizabeth.

Sonny says Michael is doing this because he feels guilty. He’s been beating himself up for getting involved with Nelle, and her ending up in Ferncliff. Carly says they’ve already lost Morgan; they can’t lose Michael. Sonny tells her that Michael is a grown man. He trusts Michael, and she needs to trust him. She says it’s Nelle who she doesn’t trust. She might kill him out of spite. He says Michael’s got it, and she asks if he’s got Michael. He says, always. Sonny has some good news about the flyer on her car. He says, invisible ink, and laughs. Carly calls Nelle a bitch, and asks if he can prove it. He says not that Nelle is behind it, but they’re trying. Until then, everything has to stay as it is. Carly says, so she stays in there, and Michael marries Nelle.

Michael asks how the sizing went, and Nelle says, actually, she went to visit his mom instead. She wanted to tell her about the engagement personally. She thought if she could explain how much she loves him and the baby, it would make it easier, but no such luck. Michael doesn’t think it’s a good time to reach out. Carly is still in recovery, and needs space. Nelle apologizes, saying she was so happy, she wanted to share it, and give Carly a piece of joy to hold on to. She asks Michael what if Carly never accepts her, and he says, then so be it. He loves her, and him, her, and the baby are all that matters; they’re a family. He doesn’t think his mom will shut her out forever. Things change, and eventually she’ll give in; she has to. Nelle hopes he’s right as long as motivated by good intentions everything will be fine

Sam brings Danny to the footbridge. Jason asks if Danny is there to watch the fireworks. Danny tells him that his mom says it’s the best view ever. Sam says she was telling him about how Jason built the bridge. Jason says he wasn’t out there with a hammer, but he paid for it. The old one had been special to a friend of his, and over time, to him too. Danny asks if Jason will watch fireworks with them, and Jason says he’d like that. Sam smiles.

Elizabeth and Franco sit on the couch, talking about the visit from Terry. Cameron comes in home early. He tells them that he saw Josslyn, and she’ll be being working at camp. It should be cool. He stomps upstairs, and Franco says, teenagers. The fireworks start, and they stand outside. Franco says it must have been hard for Terry, not being herself. He forgives Elizabeth for making out with Terry. They kiss.

Everyone goes outside at The Floating Rib. Oscar and Josslyn watch from their blanket. Oscar tells Josslyn that he tried the cologne and really likes it.

Nelle tells Michael, next year, they will be a family. He says, perfect.

Sonny has to go. He tells Carly, the next time, the celebration will be hers; he promises. They kiss.

On the footbridge, Danny sits on Jason’s shoulders. Jason and Sam smile at each other.

Tomorrow the show from January 17, 2018 will be aired. Why that one? Who knows? On Thursday, Stella tells Griff not to impose, Oscar tells Kim to stop wasting time with Julian, and Drew tells Sam they’re divorced.

The Haves and the Have Nots

RJ asks David, what the hell, and David says get out of his face. Veronica can’t believe David really hit her. He says after all he’s done for her, and all the sacrifices he made for her. The new house was supposed to be hers after she burned the other one down. She starts freaking out, and hopping up and down. David says she’s made his life hell. RJ tells David to go, but David tells him to mind his own business. Veronica says she has this. She’s going to show him how bad it can get. David tells her to give it her best shot. She says when they got married, she had two rules. One, that he not cheat on her, and two, that he never lay a hand on her; now he’s done both, and he’s with that heifer. He says he never cheated on her, but he had to see her with Benny in the paper. He gave up on her ass. She says he doesn’t know what cheating is, and he calls her insane, telling her not to go near his son or Erica. Stay out of his life. She says, you’ll regret it, and repeats it in a singsong way.

RJ asks if she’s all right. She screams at him to get out, and keeps singsonging, you’ll regret it. After RJ leaves, she repeats, he hit me, over and over. She gets her phone and sits on the couch. She calls Derek, who tells her it’s the middle of the night, but she doesn’t give a damn; she needs some help. She needs some numbers for a partner in crime. He says he’s not doing this, and she says, don’t tell her what he’s not going to do. She wants the numbers at her house by the morning. He says he’s not in that life anymore, but again, she doesn’t give a damn.

Jeffrey sits in the middle of the trashed condo. David comes in, and asks if he’s okay. Jeffrey keeps saying he’s sorry, and David tells him to stop that; his mother is a mess. Jeffrey says she didn’t do this, and David asks who did. Jeffrey tells him, Officer Justin, and David asks if it was before or after they had sex; Veronica told him. Jeffrey says, after, and he knows David is going to tell him to end it. David didn’t know there was something to end, and Jeffrey says, he doesn’t know there is. He likes Justin, and he needs help. David says, so does Jeffrey’s mother, but she won’t change. He says, this kind of behavior leads to bodily harm, and asks if Justin has been abusive. Jeffrey says he has, both physically and verbally. David wonders if Jeffrey didn’t study this in psyche class.

Justin comes out, and says he’s sorry. David says he didn’t know Justin was there, and Jeffrey says, that makes two of them. Justin says he’ll pay for it, but David asks if he can afford a $16,000 couch. Justin says, no, but he’ll try. David says Jeffrey is an adult. If he chooses to be involved with someone like Justin, there’s not much he can do, but Justin needs to get help. Justin says he knows, and David says he’ll be watching. Jeffrey’s mother is nothing compared to what he’ll do to protect the well-being of his son. He asks Jeffrey if he’s sure this is what he wants, but Jeffrey doesn’t know. David tells him when he figures it out, let him know. He has to leave before he gets sick. He tells Justin the misusing of his son makes him want to throw Justin off the balcony, and tells Jeffrey that he’ll have new furniture sent over. He leaves and Jeffrey tells Justin that he’s serious, and asks why he came back. Justin says to beg forgiveness. Jeffrey tells him that he says that a lot, but he’s forgiven. Justin says there’s a program at the department where he can talk to a psychologist, and Jeffrey says he needs to. Justin asks if it works and he gets better, will Jeffrey move in with him? Jeffrey tells him to just focus on getting better. Justin says he will, and Jeffrey says, get out. Justin says he loves Jeffrey, and wants him to say the same. Jeffrey says, I love you; bye. Justin leaves.

DA George is told they have footage from across the street from the bar. An officer asks what’s the hold-up with the Cryer case, and George says the family is strong. They’re connected, and he needs every bit of ammo he can get. The officer asks, what about the son, and George says, he’s a drug addict; not a good character witness. They look at the footage that’s focused on the bar. George wonders what Wyatt is doing there, and then sees Jim, and wonders what the hell he’s doing there. The officer says the witness didn’t see them, but recognized this guy, pointing to Benny coming out the door. The witness said he was the assailant. George says, it’s Benjamin Young. He was hit with a car by Wyatt, and the family covered it up; what’s going on? The officer says the witness claims he’s the guy, and George tells them to bring Benny in.

Sarah asks for evidence to check against a case. The deputy, who obviously thinks she’s hot, lets her into the evidence room. He tells her a shift change is coming, and to hurry, because he doesn’t want anyone to know he let her in. She takes out a box, and puts something in her purse, presumably the bullets. She thanks him, and leaves.

Hanna calls Kathryn. Neither one of them slept well. Kathryn tells Hanna that she called the attorney. Hanna thanks her, saying she thinks the police will be breaking down her door any minute. Kathryn tells her to calm down, and not to worry about the cost. After the call ends, Hanna takes out her laptop, saying she has $32.00 in her account. Not anymore. It’s $8 million now. What bank is that? The interest rate is phenomenal. She calls Kathryn back, and gets voicemail. She leaves a message saying she can’t accept it, and to call her back.

Jeffrey visits Wyatt, who’s still in a straitjacket. Wyatt says he’s been in restraints all night. Jeffrey tells him that he looks better, and will get what he needs. Wyatt wonders if it isn’t illegal to keep him there, but Jeffrey says he said he was going to kill himself. Wyatt says he was kidding, and Jeffrey says they don’t know that. He tells Wyatt that his mother will be coming, and he’ll be fine. Wyatt says they’re going to kill him, and tells Jeffrey to go. He leaves, and Wyatt lies down.

On the phone, Sarah tells Jim, it’s done. He asks where it is, and she says she’s getting rid of it. He asks how he’ll know, and she says, when the case is dropped. He wants proof, but she says she’s not sending him proof. He tells her that he wants it brought personally. Do it, and they’re through. She asks how she knows he’s telling the truth, and Jim says she’ll have to trust him. Sarah says that will never happen. He knows how dangerous this is. He says, bring it. He’ll text the address, and make sure she’s not followed. She says, no sh*t.

There’s a knock at Veronica’s door, and she says, there’s a doorbell, boy. Derek comes in, and she asks if he got her numbers. He puts a paper on the end table, and starts to leave, but she tells him, not so fast. When she calls, she needs for him to come. She doesn’t care what he’s doing. Unless he wants her to call his parole officer. He says, some things are worth going back to jail for. Why not leave him alone? He’s living a clean, honest life. She doesn’t give a damn. He owes her, and she always collects. He asks how much is enough? and she says when she decides it is. He wonders if she knows what he was in for, and she asks if he’s threatening her. He says call him again, and yes. She laughs at him, and says she can’t wait to need something else. She says, they better be good numbers. When he leaves, she can’t believe a damn convict is threatening her.

Benny is surprised to find Hanna at home, and she says she’s not going to work with this thing hanging over their heads. Benny says it will be fine, and she says, she knows; she got a lawyer. She doesn’t want to use Veronica, and they can afford it. She checked the account, but her boss put too much in. Benny wonders why Kathryn is being so nice, and asks, how much? She says she’s going to use it to pay for the lawyer, and give the rest back. Kathryn calls back, and Hanna asks if she’s lost her mind. She put over $8 million in Hanna’s account, and she can’t accept it. Kathryn says she didn’t put it in there, and Hanna asks, who did? Kathryn has an idea, but can’t talk right now. She’ll call Hanna back. Hanna tells Benny it’s a mistake, and starts to call the bank. He says, it’s not a mistake.

Candace’s phone rings. It’s Benny, who asks how much money she put into the account. When Hanna hears the money came from Candace, she freaks. Benny insists he told Candace it was a joint account, and she says they have to move the money. He asks where it came from, and she tells him, it’s legit. She’ll explain when she gets there, and don’t let Hanna touch it. Benny tells Hanna that they should hear what Candace has to say, but Hanna says they’re not keeping it. He says they don’t know where it came from, and Candace says, it came from the devil.

Charles practices a speech, and Landon tells him it’s perfect. He’s going to knock the ladies dead again. He leaves to check on their departure times. Another member of Charles’s staff is there (another guy who has no name), and tells Charles to be careful of Landon. He doesn’t see it, the way Landon caters to him. Charles says Landon is a good guy. Dude says, he’s gay. Charles says, no, but dude says, yes. Now Charles feels stupid, having talked to Landon about women. Dude says Landon is smitten with him, but Charles can’t believe it. He says Landon is a professional and won’t cross lines, and he’s not so sure Landon is gay. Even if he is, so what? Dude says, just be careful. Charles says, they’re adults. Landon can’t do anything to him. Dude says that’s not what he means. Some of the staff are whispering about them. Charles says, ridiculous. Dude says Landon is territorial. All the nights in Charles’s room, the staff is wondering if there’s more to the relationship. Charles says he’s done with the conversation. He doesn’t want to hear it again. Landon comes back, and tells him the car is ready.

Erica looks at an ovulation test. She calls Rocky, and he tells her about Candace beating him with the golf club. He tells her be careful, but she says she still has to work a john. He asks how it’s going, and she says, better. Today, she’s ovulating. He tells her to be careful, but she says, this one is worth it. She needs him to apologize to Candace, and he says, hell no. She says he’s on the inside, and she needs it to happen; just apologize. She needs to know what Candace is up to, and he’s the only one who knows her. She’ll pay him when payday comes. He asks how much, and she says they only deal in millions. He tells her to let him get out, and he’ll think about it.

David goes to Kathryn’s house. He needs Jim to talk him down. Veronica made him come out of himself; he had to pimp slap her. Jim laughs, and David says it’s not funny; he feels terrible. Jim says, about a bitch who tried to burn him alive in his own house? David knows it sounds crazy. Jim asks how hard it is when you pimp slap someone, and David says she flew across the room. Jim can barely keep it together, and says he gave that bitch some wings. David says it was a lot of rage, especially for him. Jim thinks David should have let him take her out when he had the opportunity. David asks where Kathryn is, but Jim doesn’t know and doesn’t care. David says Veronica is going to retaliate, and it will be brutal. He thinks she’ll go after Erica first. Jim asks if she’s the girl living with him, and says David is smitten. David admits he is, and Jim asks what he knows about her. David says he’s not marrying her. He had Oscar check her out, and Jim snarks that’s a real confidence builder. Oscar had better get his money back. Candace put it in Benny’s name. David calls her a clever fox, but Jim says he’s a clever fox watcher, and he’s not playing in the trash anymore. Sarah comes up the walk, and Jim says, here comes his get-out-of-jail-free card. David should leave – plausible deniability.

Sarah gives Jim the evidence envelope, and says, we’re done. Jim says, not quite, but she means it. He repeats, not quite. He wants to show her something upstairs. She says it’s his wife’s house, and she’s not doing that. She’s done, and she means it. She walks out, and Jim smiles.

Candace goes to Hanna’s house. Benny asks where she got the money, and she says she blackmailed someone powerful. Hanna says, first Jim, now the man running for President. Candace says she’s talking to Benny, and she’s not telling who. He needs to open an account, and move the money. She’ll give him a million dollars. It’s for the tow yard and house; she wants to make it right. Hanna asks how can she make right what she’s got wrong? Candace says she was talking to Benny, but Hanna says, it’s her house. Candace asks, is it? Candace tells Benny that she’ll leave the money in the account for him, and that thing. Benny tells her to watch her mouth. She asks if he doesn’t want a fresh start. Benny says someone is going to be after her; they always are. Hanna tells her that everything she does, comes back around; it already has. Candace says she’s heard that before. Hanna is like a broken record or an R&B song – or is it an old Negro spiritual? Hanna says this is the kind of mess that her baby got killed over; is she crazy? Candace says she needs the money. Hanna calls it death money, and shows her a picture of Quincy Jr. She asks if Benny is going to be a criminal too, and why can’t Candace look at the picture? She tells Candace, it takes two signatures, and Benny says, she’s right. Candace wants to know why Hanna is like this; so self-righteous. She tells Benny that she needs this, but he says he can’t do it without Hanna. Candace tells Hanna that the money is hers. Hanna says it’s blackmail money, not her money. She won’t give it to Candace, but she will give it back. Candace asks, to who? Hanna says, the FBI. They must be looking for it.

The doorbell rings. It’s the police with a warrant for Benny, and they arrest him.

Next time, Candace wants her money and says, don’t make her show how evil she can be; Justin visits Wyatt, and suggests he hang himself; and Candace calls RJ for some muscle against her mother. Who will get revenge first?

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Jason and Sam are in the hallway by the PCPD evidence room. Jason tells Sam if things start to go sideways, get out. She says it’s what she does, and goes in.

Drew tells Elizabeth he could tell the PCPD everything; he remembers all of Jason’s crimes. She says he wouldn’t do that, and he says can she imagine the DA trying to get a warrant based on one guy knowing another’s memories? She says she knows that’s not the reason. Franco comes home, and asks if Drew is there to talk Elizabeth out of marrying him.

Maxie tells Felicia a baby shower isn’t necessary, but Felicia says no matter how prepared you think you are, you still need things. They also want to welcome baby James into the world. They go into Charlie’s, and everyone yells congratulations. Maxie says it looks amazing, but… Lucy says, where are the hostesses? They were wondering too.

Nina says Peter is burning up, and tells Obrecht that they need more antibiotics. Obrecht says the Infection is tenacious. Nina says he’s in bad shape, but Obrecht says they have more important matters to attend to; hosting Maxie’s baby shower.

Carly hears knocking, and tell the patient next door that she can’t help. She’s in no position to do anything. Doc comes in and asks how she’s doing. She says, not great; Jason was fired. He wouldn’t have made that happen, would he> Doc admits to telling Mary Pat that Jason took the job using an alias to gain access to her. Carly is like, thanks a lot. Doc asks if she’s like him to leave, and she says, the sooner, the better. He asks if she’ll listen to his explanation. She asks if it’s mandatory. He betrayed her trust, but she understands all about compliance. He says he did it to protect her. He tried to explain before that if Jason is recognized, and it’s known he turned a blind eye to it, he could be suspended. Then she’d really be alone.

Jason goes over his notes at Pozzulo’s. Spinelli arrives, and Jason tells him the head nurse at Ferncliff figured out who he was. Spinelli says his credentials were impeccable. He says Doc gave him up. Spinelli is surprised since he thought Doc was dedicated to healing. Jason says good thing Carly has a phone, but no way to charge it, so she has to be judicious. He warned her that Doc might turn him in. Spinelli says she must feel betrayed and resentful. Jason says if she’s feeling trapped, she’ll try to get herself out. It’s exactly why he didn’t want her to take the plea. Now everyone believes she pushed Nelle. Spinelli asks how they can prove otherwise, and Jason tells him that Sam is working on it.

Nina tells Obrecht to stay at the cabin, but Obrecht says, no. Nina says she will, but Obrecht says she’s Maxie’s sister-in-law, and will be expected. Nina says she can’t make small talk while Peter dies. Obrecht says he’s not dying, but Nina says he’s delusional, and keeps talking about the flash drive. She asks if Obrecht knows anything about it. She doesn’t know and doesn’t care. Once Peter confesses, they can turn him over to the police. She tells Nina that she was prepared for this contingency.

Franco tells Drew that must be there to convince Elizabeth that he’s not worthy, and he wouldn’t be wrong. Elizabeth tells Franco it’s quite the opposite, and he asks her to define opposite. Drew says Franco clearly loves her, and he’d be happy to attend. Franco wasn’t expecting that, and Drew asks why invite him?

Jason says the afternoon Mike and Avery went missing, Carly found a note on her car at the hospital parking lot, pointing her to Morgan’s grave. When she got there, she smelled his cologne. Spinelli asks if Jason thinks she imagined it in her grief. Jason says, it was all Nelle. She’s cruel, but effective. Spinelli says scent is a powerful trigger. Jason tells him about Chase finding Carly in the cemetery, and when she showed him the flyer, the message was gone. Spinelli wonders if Nelle initiated the call to the PCPD. He tells Jason that there are disappearing inks that are commercially available. Sam comes in. Jason asks if she got it, and she says, piece of cake, showing them the evidence envelope containing the flyer.

Carly tells Doc that Spinelli set up an air tight cover. He says he’d rather err on the side of caution. He understands the circumstances are extreme, but she and Jason willingly entered into a conspiracy. He didn’t, and neither did his patients. They need him, and he can’t afford to have his privileges revoked. Carly understands, but tells him she didn’t push Nelle. She says Jason has been the only person who’s believed her all along, and now he’s gone.

Elizabeth goes to make tea. Franco tells Drew it was the polite thing to do. Drew saved his life. He knows they’re not friends. Drew says Franco saved his life too. He protected him from Jim, and he’ll always be grateful. He considers Franco a friend. Franco says since they’re friends, he wants to ask him something.

Julian asks Bobbie how it’s going with Lucas and Brad, and she says everything is moving along as expected. He understands that he can have nothing to do with his grandchild. He practically had to swear to it, when someone from the adoption agency dropped by. She hopes he plans to stick by it. He tells her they can have the baby shower there, and he’ll keep a low profile.

Jordan arrives at the shower, and tells says there’s been no word on Peter. Lulu tells them about Dante going undercover with the WSB. Maxie asks why Dante, and Jordan says he has experience with one of the targets, but that’s all she can say. Lulu tells Felicia it came out of nowhere. Maxie asks if Lulu is okay. Lulu would like to say she’s being noble and selfless, but wonders, why Dante? He told her if they have the opportunity to make things better, they should take it, and she couldn’t argue. Maxie says she’s sorry.

Nina and Obrecht fly in the door. Maxie asks where they’ve been.

Spinelli assumes that’s the flyer in question, and Sam liberated it from the PCPD. Sam says it’s no big deal. She tells Spinelli about working with Curtis, and how they’re opening a PI firm. Spinelli congratulates her, and she suggests he can freelance for them when he has time. He says he’d be honored, providing her new partner doesn’t object. Jason is sorry to interrupt, but wants to get back to the flyer. He appreciates the both of them helping. Sam says it feels like old times.

Doc tells Carly that the risks outweigh the benefits with Jason being there. She says he needs to understand how much she needs him. She can survive anything, but she does better with him. Doc wonders why, and she tells him not to get shrinky with her. He says it’s the appropriate forum, but he’s also curious. He’s found Jason unapproachable, and thought he could never form an emotional attachment. He was clearly wrong. Jason would do anything for her and she’d reciprocate. How does that kind of bond form or endure? Are they ever frustrated with each other? She says, all the time. He gives her great advice, she does the opposite, then he goes out of his way to fix it. He always has, and always will.

Franco thinks it’s best for everybody if he mans-up and drops it. Elizabeth wonders if he’s trying to ask Drew to be his best man. Franco says, no; it’s not a buddy movie. Drew says, if it was, this would be the part where he said yes. He tells Franco that he’d be honored; just don’t change the date. Franco doesn’t want to impose, and Drew says, just take the yes. Elizabeth gets a text from Terry, her best friend from Boulder. They shared their first kiss, and she says he’s coming to Port Charles.

Peter tosses and turns, as much as he can anyway. He sees Maxie come in. He says they have to hurry, but she says she’s not there to save him. She’s there to watch him suffer.

Sam leaves, and Spinelli tells Jason that he can relate to how he must feel about Sam with Drew. It’s not the same thing, but Jason gets what he means. Spinelli is sure that Curtis is a worthy PI. Jason says that Curtis hasn’t taken his place. Spinelli says he can provide service and support, but they won’t be a team. It’s like when Sam experienced happiness with Drew. Jason tells him that Sam and Drew are getting a divorce. Spinelli can’t pretend to feel regret, but finds it encouraging that Sam broke several laws to help obtain a vital clue. Jason thinks she enjoyed it. Spinelli says, that’s the key. She’s more herself with them than anyone else. It gives him hope that when she’s finished with her voyage of self-discovery, she’ll find herself back where she belongs – with the people she loves. He puts Jason at the top of that list. Jason says right now, they have to prove Nelle set Carly up. Spinelli says the solution is almost ready.

Carly can’t explain it to Doc. They don’t make sense. She went to Jake’s one night, and Jason was there. She knew Jason was going to be the most important person in her life. She’s lied to him, tried to blackmail him, spent a year trying to get him to fall in love with her, and when it happened, slept with his best friend. Yet he still loves her, and she loves him. He probably does think she’ crazy now. Doc says actually, he thinks she’s incredibly fortunate. She says she can’t make mess so bad that Jason won’t help. She can’t believe Doc sent him away. Doc says he wasn’t doing anything she can’t do for herself.

Elizabeth tells Franco that she and Terry were like brother and sister. He says, except for the kiss, but she says there was zero romance life. Her life was kind of chaotic with her parents traveling, and she couldn’t relate to her sister. Terry had a great family, and seemed well-adjusted. He called her Biz, because she was always busy getting into trouble. They called themselves soulmates, but then she moved, and they drifted apart. Through the magic of social media, he found her. She’s excited he’s coming, and Franco says it’s just in time to reclaim her before wedding.

Obrecht gives everyone onsies to decorate, says they’ve provided materials to commemorate the occasion with something Maxie can use. Nina tries to soften that by saying they can show their love to James by personalizing them. Sam comes in, and Obrecht points out she’s late. Lucy says, so was she, and Sam’s not the hostess. Obrecht says she and Nina were busy getting supplies; kindly put them to use. We find out Lucy’s rescue llama is doing great. Sam apologizes for being late, and Obrecht says, less chitchat, more decorating. Nina tells Sam that Obrecht will whack her hand if she doesn’t listen.

Illusion Maxie ask Peter if he thought she would forgive him for lying, and letting Nathan die in his place. He says that wasn’t supposed to happen. After he killed his father, he was going to disappear, but it seemed like she needed him. He never had that. He was just trying make things better. She says he did it for himself, so he wouldn’t feel so guilty. He says he wanted to redeem himself, and be someone she could count on and trust. Maxie says it’s all lies. He’s a lie. He’s not Peter; he’s Henrik. Peter says, no! Henrik was his father’s pawn. Peter made his own life. It’s all he has left to give, and he will.

Spinelli tells Jason, now we wait. In theory, the solution should react with the original compound and reveal the message, although there’s a margin of error. Jason knows it’s there, but he’s starting to understand that everything Nelle does is designed for maximum damage. She wanted to make Carly believe Morgan was alive, and then take it away. Spinelli thinks she sounds like a sociopath. Jason says once he knew, it was clear. If he’d been paying attention, he could have prevented Michael and Carly getting hurt.

Doc says Jason might have made Carly’s days easier, but she said she can survive anything. What would Jason say? She says, not to panic, do anything stupid, no stunts or tricks to get herself out. Doc says she’ll just have to do it. Follow the rules, say what they want to hear, and give him time to get her released. Don’t make it worse. She says it’s imminently a workable plan, except for one thing – her neighbor.

Elizabeth asks if Franco is having jealousy from when she was twelve. He says, no, but what does he do for a living? Drew wants to go for drink, and discuss the wedding. Elizabeth’s phone dings. Franco asks if that’s him again, and Drew drags him out the door.

Maxie thanks someone on the phone. She has an announcement. James passed his assessment, and is coming home day after tomorrow. Obrecht says, he’s strong and healthy, like his father. Nina thinks they should focus on that, and forget about the other thing. Felicia gives a toast to James. Maxie says the shower isn’t about decorating or the presents, but the beautiful, strong women who welcomed her son and have given them support. She thanks them, and knows Nathan is there in spirit. He thanks them too. Everyone drinks. Especially Nina.

Mirage Maxie wishes Peter had been who she thought he was; her friend. He says it was easy to be her friend. He’ll let himself die. If it helps ease her pain, he’ll let go. Tell him what to do. She looks toward the door, and disappears.

Carly tells Doc that her neighbor knows Morse code, at least SOS. He asks if she’s signaled back. She asks what she would say; it sucks in here? He strongly advises her not to engage. Many of the patients are dangerous and sociopathic. She says she’s had enough with Nelle. She’ll do what Mary Pat says. Doc tells her not all of Mary Pat’s rules are arbitrary or ill-advised. The sooner she cooperates, the sooner he can get her out. He asks if he’s forgiven. Carly says, no, but she’s glad he’s her doctor. He says, him too. The second he’s gone, the knocking begins again.

Jason tells Spinelli there’s nothing worse than being in a cage. It’s like when he was in Russia. He was so drugged, he could barely move. Little by little, he built up resistance. His plan on getting out was all he could focus on. He was willing to die trying, but Carly can’t do that. He doesn’t know how long she’ll last before she risks it. The message on the flyer appears: find me where you left me tonight. Jason says Carly was right, and now they have proof.

Nina apologizes to Maxie for being late. Maxie says she expected to see more of them lately. Nina says she’s upset about Valentin, and didn’t want to bring negativity around James. Obrecht says her grief for Nathan is still overwhelming. Maxie tells them holding nothing changes perspective like holding James. They’re welcome to come over any time.

Julian asks Obrecht if her time in the woods helped, and she says, a mother’s grief is fathomless. He never knew people screaming in woods like they were being tortured by Freddy Kreuger would help. She says, it does, Nina thanks him, and drags Obrecht outside. She can’t believe Julian found her in the woods. Obrecht tells her to calm herself. He was camping, and never reached the cabin. He heard Peter screaming, and she pretended to be using the cabin for primal scream therapy. He and his companion believed it. Nina asks who his companion was, and Obrecht tells her, Kim. Nina says if they came close to finding Peter, someone else could too. Sam watches them through the window.

Peter yells for help. The door starts to open. He says, hello?

Drew and Franco see that Charlie’s is closed for a private party. Drew says they can go the The Floating Rib, but he wants to have a chat. He says, the whole friendship thing will work out, honest. Franco is clearly freaked about Terry. Franco says, not just because he and Elizabeth were soulmates. Drew says they were twelve. Elizabeth loves him. He needs to have faith in her and himself. Franco says he’ll try. There’s nothing to worry about. Terry is probably losing his hair and has a beer belly.

A beautiful woman comes to Elizabeth’s door. It’s Terry. They hug.

On Monday, Sam asks what the plan is, Jason wonders who has Peter, and Carly asks Doc again about the patient next door.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Carly does push-ups. Jason peeks into her room. They put their hands on opposite sides of the glass in the window. I tell them to get a room. Jasper sees Jason, and tells him to make himself useful and open the door. His hands are full of food trays, and he tells Carly take one. She pulls the bottom one out, and he spills them all over the place. He calls her an idiot, and tells Jason to clean it up

Mike asks if Sonny knows Charlie. Sonny says they’ve never met personally. He wonders if Mike remembers him from the 90s, when he used to live across the street. Mike says, not then. He hasn’t seen Charlie since Sonny was about eighteen. Sonny thinks Mike might be mistaking him for someone else, but Mike insists he knows that man.

Sam tells Curtis there’s no trace of Peter anywhere. Curtis says he left Peter’s picture wherever he went. Sam says some people recognized him, but only from the news. Curtis says he got away clean. Sam says, or he’s hiding in Port Charles. Someone is helping him.

Nina finds little Morocco in her office, and Valentin tells her, welcome back. He sent her assistant away for the evening. Now she can have Morocco without the seven-hour plane ride. She says it was a long time ago. He says it was when they fell back in love, and hopes this reminds that they still can.

Julian sees Alexis at the hospital, and says it’s perfect timing. He was about to let Doc know his decision. He’s going to therapy with her. She asks if Kim gave the green light. He says she no issue with it, and it’s his call. She asks why he agreed. He tells her that she said she needed closure, and he owes her that much. She appreciates it, and he says to let him know when best time is. She says, how about now?

Sam tells Curtis maybe they’re overthinking it. Curtis asks if he’s laying low and waiting. Who would help him? He’s torched every relationship he had. Sam wonders about Valentin. Valentin is his only ally. Sam says, that they know of. Curtis says, the jet never took off and there’s been no trace of him. Sam is sure it must be Valentin.

Nina doesn’t like people messing around with her office. Valentin says he’s not people, he’s her husband. She tells him to enjoy the title while he has it trying. He says he was trying to do something special, and she says it’s Arabian Nights themed prom in her office. He wants her to see what they have to lose; Morocco was incredible. Nina says especially when the expensive necklace was stolen, and Valentin returned it, because he seems to have criminal ties all over the earth. He says he took a beating, but she nursed him back to health. He loves when she takes care of him. He loves when she loves him. He talks about making love in the moonlight, with distant waves crashing on the beach. He says, there was no past, just a future. She is his future. Tell him she feels the same. She says she doesn’t.

Alexis thinks she and Julian should get it over with. He says it’s a little fast, but she says, not for her; she just wants closure. She thanks Julian, and says she’ll talk to Doc. Lucas overhears, and tells Julian that sounded almost too civil. Julian says he’s just doing Alexis a favor, and hopes she’s willing to reciprocate.

Mike says he met Charlie in Port Charles, but not when he lived there. Sonny thinks Mike might be confused, and Mike tells Sonny not to talk down to him. If he listens, he might find out something. Sonny moves to take his arm, and Mike pulls away, saying he’s not an invalid. DA Margaux walks in, and sees the two of them arguing. She asks if there’s a problem here. She sees Sonny, and says they meet again.

Carly wants to hug Jason, but he suggests she doesn’t, since they can be seen through the window. She can’t believe Jasper locked him in there; she could be dangerous. He tells her it was a nice move, getting him to spill the trays, but don’t do it again. She says she’s trying to ignore Mary Pat, but every time she brings up Morgan’s death, she wants to punch her. Jason tells her not to give in. There’s no fight worth winning in there. She only wins when she walks away free. Carly wonders when that will be. Since it’s been all of two days.

Sonny says that everything is fine, and Margaux tells him, if he says so. She wonders why he’s hanging out in a place owned by Julian Jerome. He says they sell Corinthos Coffee. Mike asks if Sonny knows her, and Sonny tells him that she’s the new DA, Margaux Dawson. She asks Mike if Sonny is bothering him, and Mike says if she calls interrupting bothering. Sonny tells Margaux this is father. He mentioned him on the stand; does she remember that? Mike says, what he said. They were just having squabble about when Sonny got started in the business. She asks if they were talking about coffee.

Lucas tells Julian that he doesn’t want to know. Julian says Brad stopped by and told him Alexis is handling the adoption. He hopes she does good by them. Lucas says she’s focused on the legalities, since the only one who has any control is the birth mother. Lucas leaves, and Alexis returns. She tells Julian that Doc gave go the ahead. She asks if he’s ready, and he says as he’ll ever be.

Nina tells Valentin that she doesn’t love him anymore, breaking my heart into a million pieces. He says he doesn’t believe it. She says, that’s the problem. There’s a direct connection between his lies and her brother’s death. His failure to act was an act in itself. He knew Faison was looking for Peter. He made her doubt herself, when the whole time he was undermining her. He says he didn’t know what to do. She says she can’t trust what comes out of his mouth, and he says he never lied about loving her. She tells him love means trust and honesty, but she doesn’t know what it means to him. Reminding her of the trip reminds her that she never should have given their marriage a second chance.

Doc thanks Julian for joining them, and he says it’s not how he saw his day going. Doc asks Alexis to explain what she’s hoping to accomplish. She says she started therapy because she has issues she thinks might have started with her father. He was ruthless, amoral, and cruel. If you loved him, you either adapted to his cruelty or paid price. Her mother paid with her life. No one was left unscathed, including her. Watching his behavior has had a bit of an effect on her. Doc asks if she means it had an influence on her romantic relationships. Alexis says if a man was stable, she’d run for the hills. Doc asks if she ever saw her father behave that way, and she says only if it was a manipulative tactic. Doc wonders if it feels like a trap to her, but she says it feels foreign. Love is obsessive, compulsive, and damaging. From what she witnessed growing up, love could get you killed. Julian remembers her telling him about how Mikkos got off on power and enjoyed ruining people’s lives; love was transactional. Julian asks how he fits in. She can’t believe doesn’t see connection. Neither can I. He says maybe it works for Sonny and Ric. Alexis says they didn’t hold a knife to her throat. Julian says he had no choice. She says he did; he could have told her the truth. The bottom line is that it doesn’t matter it happened; it happened. He says he couldn’t risk his family’s lives. She says he dragged to a pier and held a knife to her throat, making her think he was going to kill her. The only way to cope, was to drink herself into a stupor. It didn’t work. She had sex with him, knowing he’s hurt her again. Julian gets up, saying this was a mistake. Alexis says she wants closure, but if she’s just looking to rake him over the coals, he’s calling the whole thing off.

At the hospital, Brad sees Lucas peeking into a room window. He says something is distracting Lucas; a mother and a newborn. That will be them any day now. Lucas if afraid the birth mother is going to change her mind; it’s keeping him up at night. Brad suggest he go home, have a glass of wine or three, and rest. Lucas is worried about falling in love with the child, and having them taken away. How would they deal with that? Brad says it’s not in their hands. It sucks, but they agreed to keep the faith, and believe everything will work out. They’ve done all they can. Lucas asks why aren’t they talking about names then?

Valentin says Nina gave him thirty days to be a better husband. She says she signed that to humor him. She just wants a divorce. He thinks they can still make it right. She says nothing can make it right. Because of his silence, her brother is dead, and she’s had to take justice into her own hands. He asks what she means by that.

Sam thinks Valentin helped Peter, but something wrong. Between the hotel and the jet, Peter vanished. Curtis says maybe Valentin doesn’t know anything about it. He claims Peter just disappeared. The hotel room has been searched by everyone from forensics to the WSB. Sam says it hasn’t been searched by Ashford and McCall.

Jason cleans up the mess in Carly’s room. She says she should be enjoying it, but wants to help him, and can’t because Jasper will report it to Mary Pat. Jason says Jasper is a bully, but Mary Pat is dangerous. She has it in for Carly. Carly doesn’t know why; she’s not a threat. Jason says she can’t hide how strong she is, and that threatens her. She’ll make excuses to find Carly wrong. Carly says if she was thinking strategically, she’d do what Doc said, and tell him to quit.

Sonny asks Mike to get another round of coffee. He tells Margaux if she has questions, ask him. Don’t play games with his dad. She knows he has Alzheimer’s. She says they might have been discussing his criminal enterprise. Sonny says if she’s implying that he’s anything less than an upstanding citizen, she’s mistaken. She says he’s been investigated for murder, extortion, and racketeering. He pled guilty to AJ’s murder. His community is organized crime. Sonny says, prove it. Everyone else has failed. She says she’s not everyone else. He says no; she’s cruel. She comes after him through his wife.

Carly says someone could recognize Jason, but he came anyway. He says the hard part was getting hired. Mary Pat believed his resume and references. Carly is sure Spinelli was thorough, and Jason tells her that Elizabeth gave him a recommendation letter. Carly wishes it was safe for him to be there. He says on thins he knows, Mary Pat likes to be right, and she hired him. If he keeps doing a good job, she’ll look at him like her person. Everyone else will just see the uniform. She says unless they see his eyes; they’re memorable. He says, to her, but she says, anyone. He asks if she wants him to stay. She doesn’t think she can make it without him.

Lucas says he can’t pretend he’s not terrified, and Brad says he has his moments of paranoia. He reminds himself that they’re everything a birth mother could want in a couple. They have everything a baby could want. If she didn’t believe that, she would have chosen another couple. They have Alexis in their corner, and she’ll do everything in her power to protect them.

Alexis says Julian wants to be a martyr, and he says it’s not about closure. She wants a free pass to tear into him. She says he wants to be forgiven on his terms. Storming out shows he’s not responsible for his actions. Julian says they clearly don’t need a psychiatrist to play referee. Doc suggests more structure in the session, assuming Julian is willing to continue. Alexis says she’d be grateful if he stayed, and Julian says, okay.

Julian sits back down. Doc asks Julian what drew him to Alexis. When he returned again, he knew their lives were I conflict. He was engaged in a covert criminal enterprise, and Alexis was an attorney who prides herself on her ethical practices. He adds that Alexis encouraged it. Alexis says she encouraged nothing. They’re supposed to be discussing why she’s drawn to dangerous men. Julian says he wanted redemption, and he saw a chance for it in her.

Carly says she keeps repeating what Jason told her; don’t panic, no shortcuts, wait for him and Sonny to get her out. Jason says they will. She knows it intellectually, but when she’s sitting alone or with Mary Pat watching her, she feels trapped. Jason says it takes everything not to make run for it. In Russia, it took him months to plan his escape. They would park him by a widow, where he could see the grounds and the city beyond, but he couldn’t move. He knew he’d be caught. When he finally made a run, he knew he had to make it all the way out, like she’s going to. He tells her to wait. Every day gets her closer to home. If she can’t do it for herself, do it for her family. They need her back. She takes his hand, but Jasper is coming in. He asks if Jason is done. He’s got a lot of corners waiting for him. He tells Carly since she spilled the tray, she doesn’t eat until the next meal.

Margaux tells Sonny that she didn’t scapegoat his wife. He says she wants to try anyone who’s a Corinthos. When the judge said she wasn’t guilty – Margaux says, by reason of insanity – she had her sent to that hellhole because of revenge. Margaux says the judge remanded her there, and Sonny says, because of her big speech. She got what she wanted. Now Carly is in lock-up with psychotic murderers. Margaux says, she pushed a pregnant woman down the stairs. Sonny says Nelle admitted she played tricks on Carly, and Margaux asks if he’s implying Nelle deserved to be pushed down the stairs. Sonny says he’s implying there was no justice at the trial. It was about ambition, and she’s responsible for the misery that came out of it. Margaux says she became a DA because she believes in justice, order, and structure. People like him flaunt their disregard for it. She did the same thing she would have done if it were anyone else. His wife committed a felony, and was prosecuted accordingly. The same way she’ll prosecute him if she has to. He doesn’t want her as enemy. He says there’s no way to avoid it, and she says, let the games begin. She leaves, apparently without ordering. Mike asks who she was, and Sonny says, nobody important.

Alexis asks Julian what made him think she could redeem him? He says maybe he saw something; he didn’t realize it until now. Maybe he thought she was strong enough to handle his darkness; this person, who championed the concepts of right and wrong. Doc asks what value it had to him? He says he never thought he could be good man, but with Alexis, maybe he could be a better man. He didn’t just fall in love with her, but with the idea that he could be a better man. He did horrible things to hold onto that. He can never ask forgiveness, but he’s sorry. Maybe there’s some psychological reason that she’s trying to redeem the men in life, because her mom wasn’t able to redeem her father. Well, I guess they don’t need Doc. He can go home now. Julian says, in her, he saw a chance for redemption. At that point, he was wanting – begging – to be redeemed. He thinks they were just trying to break the cycle of violence with each other. He wishes they had.

Outside Peter’s old hotel room, Curtis tells Sam that Jordan’s team swept it already, and he trusts her. Sam says, and she trusts Jason. Sam opens the lock, and they go inside. Someone’s stuff is there, and Curtis says Olivia didn’t waste time in renting it out. Sam says they have to hurry.

Valentin asks Nina what she means by justice. She says Peter should be in custody, but he’s free instead.  instead free. He says she seems worried, and she says, it’s work. He says she was distracted at The Floating Rib, like she was somewhere else. She apologizes for not giving him her undivided attention while seeking her well-earned divorce. He thinks it’s something else. He tells her that if she’s in trouble, he’ll help her, but she has to tell him what it is.

On the way to the elevator, Alexis tells Julian that she thinks Doc is right, the therapy will be good for them both. He under no pressure though, and she knows it’s more than he bargained for. Julian thinks he’s good to go to future sessions. Clearly, they have other things to address, and owe it to each other to move on with their lives. Alexis says, and here they are. The elevator comes, and Alexis says she’ll do whatever he needs on her end to help him move on; don’t hesitate to ask. He says he’ll think of something one of these days. The elevator door closes.

Lucas agrees with Brad that Alexis is a great lawyer, but she can’t stop the birth mother changing her mind. Brad says they could get hit by a bus, or a giant meteor could obliterate life on earth. There’s potential disaster everywhere. Lucas says Brad’s faith is impressive. Brad promises they’re going to bring the baby home, be amazing parents, and nothing can stop them. Lucas says Brad doesn’t know that. Brad says he can, and promises there’s nothing that can keep them from being parents. They kiss.

Nina says Valentin would love for her to be in a crisis, so he can swoop in and rescue her. Even if she needed rescuing, she’s capable of rescuing herself. He asked if she defended herself on New Year’s Eve, when Cassandra attacked her. She needed his help, and he gave it, no questions asked. He cleaned up any trace that would lead to an investigation. Imagine what would have happened if he’d written her off when she needed him. She asks if he’s trying to blackmail her.

Curtis says the place is cleaned out, but Sam sees something above the window. She calls Curtis over to look. Margaux walks in, and asks what the hell they’re doing in her room.

Sonny tells Mike, sorry for what happened. He doesn’t like fighting with him. He says they can talk about anything, and asks what were they talking about? Mike doesn’t remember. Sonny says it doesn’t matter; he shouldn’t have been pushing him. He’s sorry. Mike says, him too. Sonny doesn’t want to be late for Michael’s dinner. Mike says he’ll meet him outside. On the way out, Sonny looks at picture of Charlie. He calls Max, and says he needs a team to look into someone – Charlie Delaney.

Jason is cleaning in the hallway outside Carly’s room. We hear a scream. Carly says, what the hell? Jason moves toward the other room, and Doc comes down the hall, asking if he can help him with something. Jason asks, who’s the patient in this room?

On Monday, Felicia asks Anna who’s comforting her, Margaux accuses Sam and Curtis of breaking and entering, and Maxie talks to Jordan about Peter.

💍 Thoughts on 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?

I’m liking Anfisa more. The web cam thing was never an issue, because it’s not like she was doing anything illegal, it’s her decision, and it happened before she and Jorge got together anyway. So pfft! But, for a while, I did think she was using him. I wouldn’t go so far to say it was the other way around, but this dude will say anything he can to get over. She seems to be actually listening to what the counselor is saying. She also wanted him to defend her to his family, but he couldn’t get sister Lourdes on the phone. This prompted one of the producers to ask if the last time he saw Lourdes wasn’t at the divorce lawyer. Talk about stirring the pot. Anfisa wasn’t too happy. When denial didn’t work, Jorge did a lot of singing and dancing, finally agreeing to individual therapy. While at first, I thought Anfisa just wanted a green card, it looks like she really does want to make it work. Why? Who knows.

David made an attempt to have a cohesive family moment, taking Annie and the rest of his clan to the zoo. Daughter Ashley said, with Annie, it could go either way. More like, with Ashley it could go either way. I feel sorry for Annie. She’s another one who was lied to, and she hasn’t done one wrong thing. David insightfully realized that Ashley is taking out her anger at him on Annie, and they all managed to have a peaceful day. Annie basically said David was all talk and no action, and she didn’t want to talk about it anymore. If I was her, I’d head back to Thailand, but insist on keeping the water buffalo or whatever it was he had to give her parents.

Pedro sent his sister a ticket to come and visit, which Chantel did not appreciate, especially since he never once paid for her ticket to the DR. He also sprung it on her while they were furniture shopping, and she had to come to grips with the fact they could no longer to be able to afford the couch she just thought was so comfy. Chantel made it clear that sistergirl is to leave her drama in the DR. That sister is a real piece of work, so I can’t wait to see how this visit goes.

Molly is having a hard time getting Luis out of her house. This guy definitely wins the In-It-For-The-Green-Card award. He probably thought he was getting a free ride too, but didn’t bargain on having to “babysit” and not go to the club every night. He locked himself in the guest bedroom, Ricky Ricardo music on full blast, threatening to call the police. Molly says she’s about to snap. I just have to say it. This is what she gets for being a more than grown-ass woman who’s managed to avoid marriage so far, picking up someone she barely knows, and is of barely-legal age, while on vacation in another country, and marrying them.

Russ hit the nail on the head, saying Pao turns into a mean girl when she’s around Juan. Although she finally left with Russ after the non-fistfight outside the club, she’s not willing to let go of the friendship. I’m not sure why, unless she likes being a mean girl. Or at least acquiescing to a mean queen. I wouldn’t be friends with this guy. This is always going to be a thing between them, like Pao wanting to take her clothes off for the camera.

Which brings us to the biggest mistake of all, Azan and Nicole. A “friend” of Nicole’s told her that a voice recording of Azan had surfaced online. (How much you want to bet the producers have something to do with its sudden appearance?) She listened to them, and he talked about wanting a kiss from some girl, but we didn’t hear another person responding. No surprise, Nicole threw a fit, and called Azan at who-knows-what time it was there. She tried to keep the cameras away, but they remained up her ass. Good job! Azan explained that it was long ago, when he was drunk with his boys, and they were leaving prank messages for girls. Nicole whined for a while, but still got on the plane for Morocco with her toddler, to take on an 18-hour travel day. When Azan met her at the airport, he almost seemed like he really cared about her, which confused me. If nothing else, both of them are too young. Nicole’s MO is to whine until her family agrees with her and does what she wants. I think she might be in for a big surprise when the rest of the world doesn’t follow suit. She’s also been sending Azan some large chunks of cash, but keeps saying it’s no one’s business what her “financials” are. Rightfully so, her mother is concerned, saying it’s like putting a frog in boiling water. If you turn up the heat slowly, it doesn’t realize it’s getting cooked. She thinks Nicole is getting cooked. Like my brain from watching this show.

📺 TV Tidbits

Preacher returns this Sunday, June 24th at 10 pm. I’ve never been able to fully commit to this show due to time constraints, but from what I’ve seen, I definitely want to investigate it further.

I doubt Luis is going to contribute to society, although he might contribute to five-dollar margarita night at Chili’s.

I can just see Ashley, flipping her hair as she trash talks the show.

📠 Quotes of the Week

What does a nosy pepper do? Get jalapeno business. – sign at Trader Joe’s

Am I still here? In my mind, I was running so fast. – Earl (Garrett Morris), 2 Broke Girls

Selfish, not self-centered: for in such a life my mind would be directed towards a thousand things, not one of which is myself. The distinction is not unimportant. One of the happiest men and most pleasing companions I have ever known was intently selfish. On the other hand, I have known people capable of real sacrifice whose lives were nevertheless a misery to themselves and others, because self-concern and self-pity filled all their thoughts. Either condition will destroy the soul in the end. But till the end, give me the man who takes the best of everything (even at my expense) and then talks of other things, rather than the man who serves me and talks of himself, and whose very kindnesses are a continual reproach, a continual demand for pity, gratitude, and admiration.CS Lewis, From Surprised by Joy

In other words, quit complaining.

⛳ Enjoy – No Matter What They Are…
