Shahs of Sunset

Asa brings lunch for two out to the pool, and floats around on a golden swan. GG arrives bearing hummus. She ironically says that Asa looks skinnier, and tries to get on the float with her, but ends up dumping her into the pool. GG realizes Asa is pregnant, and freaks out, hugging her. They laugh about GG saying she looked skinnier. Asa says the first trimester is tiring, and GG says of course – your body has another body in it. She asks how everyone else took it, and if MJ is jealous. Asa says she doesn’t think so, but she’s in such a great place, that she’s not even sure what’s going on with everyone else. In her interview, Asa tells us that Reza and Adam’s one-year anniversary is coming up, and it’s sad when they’re missing a person. GG asks if she doesn’t think that Reza was in the wrong too. Asa tells GG that she has to own her stuff, and not palm a percentage off on someone else. She says to move past something, you can’t partially blame others. Good point.

Mike cleans up after the party, and MJ visits with coffee and buttery chocolate croissants. We flash back to the party, which Mike declares dope. Mike is surprised she’d bring the croissants after the throw-down they had over them three seasons ago. He asks if she had a good time at the party, and tells her that when she started crying he felt badly, thinking it was because she wants a baby too. She says that it was about her dad, not Asa’s pregnancy. Mike says he’s open-minded, but wonders why Asa doesn’t want to get married first. MJ thinks they’re not sure if they even want to live together, and Mike wants to be enlightened. In her interview, MJ says Asa and Jermaine have been together seven years, but everything is a secret. Mike says they’ve been a couple forever, and questions why they’re not getting married and then having a child.

Asa comes by Reza’s condo. He’s writing out a card to Adam for their anniversary. MJ shows up next. Reza says they’re late already, and they join everyone at the party bus. MJ toasts to Adam and Reza’s first year. She calls Tommy, but gets voicemail. MJ asks if GG is coming, but Reza says she lies and hits people. He hopes she’s on a good path, but wants to keep the circle small tonight. They guess whether Asa is having a boy or girl, and Adam asks them to guess when they’re having kids. In his interview, Reza says that since Asa’s announcement, Adam’s uterus has been on fire. Ha-Ha! Reza cracks me up.

The bus gets to the Wildlife Way Station where they’re having dinner after checking out the animals. We flash back to the Thailand trip, when Adam and Reza were supposed to get married the first time, with Reza backing out, and Adam staying home. In his interview, Reza says that he wants to give Adam what he couldn’t give him then. Mike says Adam twitches whenever Thailand is mentioned. Two turtles are mating, and MJ encourages them. Reza tells us that Mike has a special connection to monkeys, and it’s very telling.

It’s time to eat, and a beautiful tent has been set up in the forest, decorated with tiny lights and an aquarium. Reza asks Annalise what her plan is, since she and Shervin aren’t on the same continent. In his interview, Reza says Shervin is a whore, and he thinks Shervin is fooling around no matter where Annalise is. He says the burden is on her, and wonders why Shervin is fronting. Asa asks who’s going to have a baby next. Reza says Adam brings it up every five seconds; he wants their children to grow up with Asa’s, but they’ll do their thing when it’s time. Reza thanks everyone for coming. He compares his and Adam’s relationship to a stew that gets better after it’s been around a while. He doesn’t think that anything will make Adam forget Thailand, but it’s been a great year. In his interview, he wants to know where the trophy is for being faithful a whole year.

MJ suggests that they ask questions of each other. Reza wonders who’s getting married next, and MJ asks Asa if Jermaine has proposed. Asa says no, but they’ll get married when they get married, and they practically live together now. MJ asks how her parents are taking it, and if she knows why she doesn’t want to get married. In her interview, Asa says that the questions are judgmental, and it’s her life. Mike wonders if Jermaine being of a different race is a problem with the family, and there’s a quick discussion about how progress has been made in that area. In his interview, Mike says that it’s perfect time to talk, but she’s making them feel stupid for asking. Asa says that she and Jermaine know the future they want, and they’re working toward it. MJ thinks they’re too old for that kind of vague nonsense, and in her interview, she wonders if Jermaine didn’t propose and Asa wanted him to.

Adam meets GG for coffee. She tells him that he’s always been there for her, and she misses him. She’s asked him for a face to face a couple of times, and thanks him for coming. He says he doesn’t remember ever receiving an apology from her, but she shows him a text she’d sent him the morning after she attacked him. He admits that he might have blocked her. She tells him that it was a wake-up call. She loves him, and being the most innocent in the situation, he got the worst of it. He says he told people that he was mauled by a dog when they asked what happened. She says she’d never want to hurt him, and it was a lie about the video. She tells him that time heals, people grow and learn from their mistakes. He says he never hated her, even though she upset him greatly. He accepts her apology, but can’t see her behind Reza’s back. She understands that, and thanks him again. He jokingly tells her not to run after him this time.

Reza asks Adam what happened. Adam says that GG apologized, and he felt it was sincere. Reza asks what she apologized for, and Adam gives him a list, including the things she did to Reza. Adam says he thinks she wants to be a better person, and he’d like to give her a second chance. Reza says if he made up stories or hit someone every time he had a problem, he wouldn’t get anywhere in life. He doesn’t mind if Adam has a relationship with GG, but he’s not ready to have her back in his life. Adam says he’d like for them all to move on. He doesn’t want any negativity in any aspect of their relationship.

Reza arrives at MJ’s, and she hands him a drink. Shervin has invited them to a beach house, and he knows GG has been invited. In his interview, he says Adam thinks it’s cool, but he’s not sure, so he’s speaking softly and carrying a big stick. MJ gets a call about her father being released from the hospital to rehab, and asking if she’ll be involved with physical therapy. In her interview, she says they look forward to, and expect a full recovery. She tells Reza that they should stop by before they go to the beach house. While she gets ready, he cleans up her place. Yep, it’s a mess. In his interview, he sees her moving backward and being stuck, and wants her to get it together.

Reza and MJ visit MJ’s dad, Shams. He’s not as together as he was before, and she’s concerned. He does not look well at all, and in his interview, Reza says seeing him in this frail state is something he can’t even express. Reza tries to keep from crying. MJ says every day is another curveball. She walks around with a lump in her throat and wanting to throw up, but would rather this than what her father is going through. She tells Shams to smile, and he moves his mouth a little bit. She tells him she loves him, and gives him a bunch of kisses.

The guests start arriving at the Malibu party house. No surprise, the property is stunning. GG says she no longer drinks hard liquor. Shervin suggests that he and Mike jump into the pool from the roof. They don’t do that, but Shervin jumps from a balcony, giving everyone a mini heart attack.

In the car. Reza says that was hard, and MJ says that Shams does not look okay. She claims that yesterday, he looked like Roger Moore, but Reza thinks she’s in denial. She sees Shams in a healthier state than he is, and isn’t connecting to what’s real. She talks about taking Shams to Vegas when he’s better. Reza says if anyone says anything stupid or insignificant, he’s going to take their head off.

Reza tells Shervin about the visit with Shams. In his interview, he says it puts things in perspective, like his relationship with GG. It’s been a year since GG has seen Reza, and after she arrives, she realizes everyone is watching and waiting for her reaction. Reza tells Mike and Asa that Shams was a wreck, and MJ acted like nothing was wrong. Reza says that she thinks he’ll be there to walk her down the aisle and hold the baby; Mike thinks she’s completely delusional.

The party is in full swing. Mike tells us that it’s perfect – a dope house, catered food, so much alcohol you could drown in it, and some extras, like belly dancers. You name it, and it can go down at a Persian party. GG tells Adam to be nice to her man; he’s shy. She and Shalom have been living in the same building for years, but one day she said hey, and they’ve been together ever since. MJ wants massive quantities of tequila. GG has also brought a friend to buffer things. Right now, it’s nerve-wracking. She wants to make her presence noticeable, but doesn’t know what to do exactly.

Reza tells Asa about how they have so much amazing in their lives [sic], and wonders what he’s holding on to. He calls GG and MJ over to the couch. He tells us that he had a crazy emotional thing at the hospital, and his heart is open. He tells GG that he needs to bury this. He says the hospital hit home. They were talking about what’s really important, and some sh*t needs to be done. If anything needs to be said, now’s the time. GG says she’s been waiting for this, and has something for everyone. In her interview, she says that she wants to get back to how she and Reza used to be – talking sh*t about other people and not each other. She brings out some little handmade dolls for good fortune that she bought in Belize, and has each of them pick one. She meant to give them out at the time, but… She says that she and Reza put each other through hell, and apologizes for anything she did to hurt him, his people, or husband. Reza says he accepts, apologizes to GG, and says let’s move forward. In her interview, GG is thrilled, and says they’re all best friends again. She and Reza hug it out, and everyone wants the best for each other. They stack their hands on one another’s like before you do a cheer. Unicorns and rainbows dance across the screen. Well, just about.

Next time, Reza throws a Peace-in-the-Middle-East Halloween party, MJ wants to get pregnant, GG walks the runway, and Reza suggests a trip to Israel.

👑 And they’re just warming up. On Game of Thrones, Ser Jorah wasn’t looking too good, but Sam went behind the Maester’s back to try a cure for Jorah’s spreading greyscale. The Tarlys have to make a choice between siding with the crown or house Tyrell, who Jaime pointed out have brought the Dothraki to their shores. Oleanna told Dany that it’s better to be feared than respected, but Dany said that’s not her way. Tyrion laid out a battle plan, but Oleanna encouraged Dany to be a dragon, saying Tyrion might be clever, but she’s outlived clever men by ignoring them. Greyworm and Missansdei got busy. It’s about time. Sam got word to Jon about Dragonstone being on a mountain of dragonglass, and also told him that Dany is bucking for the Iron Throne and coming with three dragons. Jon decided to meet with them because they need the dragonglass. Sansa thinks it’s a trap, but still looked mighty pleased when Jon put her in charge while he’s gone. He begs to differ, and thinks Tyrion is a good guy. Seriously, Sansa should know that.

🐺 Arya was reunited with Nymeria, but it the scene ended sadly. In the forest, Arya was surrounded by a pack of wolves, with Nymeria as their leader. Arya wanted her direwolf to come north with her, but Nymeria wanted to stay with her new pack, and she simply led them away. The ladies from Dorne were kind of a snooze, but things livened up when Ellaria started flirting with Yara, who I constantly want to call Tasha Yar (Star Trek: The Next Generation). It was all fun and games, until bombs dropped on the party. That jerk Euron showed up, destroying the Greyjoy fleet. Although the fighting was fierce, Euron came out the winner, and captured Yara. Theon totally rallied when a knife was held to his sister’s throat – not. In what could have been a glorious moment for him, Theon jumped overboard, leaving Yara to fend for herself. Most. Disappointing. Moment. Ever.

General Hospital

Ava tosses out her beauty products, saying good-by to each of them. She sips a martini, and says so long to her friends. There isn’t anything that can cover her new face.

Bobbie asks Carly if there’s been any progress with finding Spencer. Carly says no, but they’ll find him. Bobbie asks if she’s seen Laura, and Carly tells her about Laura asking Sonny for help. When Bobbie asks how she feels about that, Carly says they’re in agreement about using his connections to bring Spencer home.

Fantasy Sonny tells Sam that he knows he’s made things difficult for her, but he knows what’s best for her family. She says it’s always what’s best for him. Sonny says that Jason gets results, and Sam says she does too. Jason asks who she’s talking to.

Real Sonny tells Laura she has to take care of herself. She says that will be difficult until Spencer is home, and asks if his guys have found anything.

On the phone, Nina says she knows there are penalties for withdrawing money, but she’s interested in the short term.

Nathan tells Valentin that life expectancy in jail for people who hurt kids is short. He asks if there’s anything Valentin wants to tell him.

Ava calls for a vodka delivery. A case of Voox. She says she’s having a party, and asks them to be quick. Yeah, a party of one.

Sam tells Jason that she was talking to herself. She has a phone app that connects to the baby’s room. (Wouldn’t she be talking to the baby then?) Jason says he has nothing for today, and is escorting her to her follow-up appointment. She says she thinks she’s feeling better and was considering cancelling, but knew how he would feel. He says no one hates doctors and hospitals more than him, but they have to be sure she’s fine. There’s nothing they can’t handle. Imaginary Sonny winks at her.

Carly tells Bobbie that if there was a lead, Sonny would let her know, since Josslyn is drowning in guilt because it happened on her watch. She tells Bobbie that Josslyn internalizes everything. Bobbie is like, teenagers, but Carly says that Josslyn sees herself as an adult; drinking hanging out with boys. Now Oscar is a lifeguard at Lila’s Kids, so they’re working together. Bobbie says she remembers summer romance. Carly says it’s not a romance – is it? Geez, you’d think Oscar was some kind of serial killer, when he was nothing but nice and respectful. Does Carly have any idea of what’s really out there?

Sonny tells Laura they haven’t found anything, but they will. Valentin didn’t do this alone, and people who snatch kids in his town are few and far between. Laura says that Valentin is in lock-up, but he’ll probably make bail. Sonny says no matter what, he’ll get him, so he doesn’t want her doing anything rash. BTW, Genie Francis looks fantastic, and it doesn’t seem like she’s had any work done either.

Valentin tells Nathan that he has nothing to do with Spencer’s disappearance. An officer comes in, and says that Valentin’s bail has been posted. Nathan says it was off the charts, and asks if he had his lawyers post it. Nina walks in and says no, she did.

Nathan uncuffs Valentin, telling him that he’d better stay on the straight and narrow. Valentin tells Nina she didn’t have to do that. His lawyers are on it, and are probably wiring money right now. She wants everyone to know she believes in him. He says he’s used to handling these things by himself. She says not anymore, but that doesn’t mean she’s coming back to him.

Ava thinks about the fire. The delivery arrives, and she asks them to leave it outside. The guy says she has to sign for it. She tells him to slip the receipt under the door, but he has to see who’s signing. She answers the door, and says, boo! For Pete’s sake, she’s really not that bad.

Carly says she’s not ready for this, and Bobbie says he’s just a boy. Carly wants to know how to not screw it up. Bobbie tells her that she survived parenting and adolescent behavior, but she was so thrown when Carly’s brother came out, she didn’t listen. Carly says it worked out though. Bobbie promises Carly will get through it.

There’s a knock at Jason and Sam’s door. It’s Sonny. Real Sonny. Sam wants to return a blanket that Molly left, and says she’ll be right back. Sonny asks Jason if she’s okay, but Jason says he doesn’t know.

Sonny asks if it’s a vibe he’s getting or is it just him? Jason says Sam is going through some things. He doesn’t think it’s serious, but it requires some tests. Jason figures what Sonny wants must be important. Sonny says Spencer is missing, and Nina posted Valentin’s bail. Jason asks if there are any leads. Sonny says not yet, but Valentin needs to be stopped. Jason asks if Sonny wants him to do it. Sam listens at the door.

Carly wants to be Josslyn’s best friend, but she can’t; limits have to be set. Bobbie tells her to do what she failed to do. Keep lines of communication open and give her chances to tell the truth; be her safe place. Bobbie says not to worry so much. Her best advice is to remember when she was fourteen. Carly says that doesn’t help. Josslyn walks in, and asks if they were talking about her. She wonders if it’s about Spencer.

Valentin asks Nina for a chance. She says not today, and he says, someday? She says they’ve both made mistakes, and he tells her not to blame herself for anything. She says everyone is running around like chickens with their heads cut off, and they can’t do the same. She tells him to go home and take a shower, but he says it’s not a home without her and Charlotte. She says never say never, and he tells her he’d never do that when it comes to them. He signs the paperwork. Laura walks in and stares daggers at him.

Sam goes to Ava’s townhouse. She’s sleeping on the couch, and Sam wakes her up. She asks what Sam is doing there. Sam says Ava has been drinking, like Ava didn’t know, and Ava says yes she has. Sam tries to clean up, and Ava says she doesn’t have to. Ava asks what she wants to see Julian about. Sam says she has a proposal, but she’ll have to take care of it herself. Ava goes to get her some coffee.

Sonny tells Jason that the cops are all over the place, so it has to be low key. Jason says he’s in. The timing could be better, but he has it. Sonny says that Spencer is important to him, and Jason says that he’ll do what he can do. Sonny asks if he’s sure Sam will be okay with it. Jason says he’s looking for a little kid who she’s related too; she’ll be fine.

Sam is surprised that Julian left Ava alone, and Ava says she’s not five. She asks if Sam wants some vodka in her to-go cup, but that’s a no. Ava tells her that Julian is probably at his office, but Sam says if he can’t be there for Ava, he’s useless. Ava says she told him to leave. Sam wonders why Ava isn’t wearing the mask that the hospital gave her. Ava tells her what’s the point? and Sam says Avery needs her mother. Ava says that Avery doesn’t see a mother, but a monster. She tells Sam that Avery will have to make due with Sonny, but Sam gives her an emphatic no.

Carly says they’ll find him. Josslyn asks what they’re talking about, saying it sounds kind of serious. I miss the rest of the scene because the sound goes out on my TV. I’ve been wrestling with a problematic connector for a few days now, and have to mess with it several times a day.

Nina tells Laura that she bailed Valentin out. Laura says that her grandson has been missing for twenty-four hours with no communication. She doesn’t know if he’s dead or alive. Nina says she’s sorry, and Laura tells her that if she was, she’d do the right thing, since Valentin has time not accounted for. Nina says she understands Laura’s frustration, but Valentin didn’t kidnap Spencer – she knows him. Laura says she does too. He killed her son, and now he’s after her grandson. Nina tries to say something, and Laura tells her to shut up, adding that she’s just as guilty as Valentin. Nathan says they’ll be watching him, and Laura starts to freak out on Nathan. She says Valentin knows he’ll be watching, so he’ll hire someone else to do his dirty work. Nina says that Laura is spiraling out of control.

Josslyn tells Carly that she and Oscar are just friends. Carly asks if she wants it to be more, and Josslyn says that she doesn’t know him. Carly says she can’t stop her from seeing him, but it bothers her that Oscar pressured her into drinking. Josslyn says he didn’t pressure her into anything, but Carly thinks it sounds like she wanted to impress him, and she only needs to impress herself. Josslyn suggests that judging someone she doesn’t know is the same thing Nelle did to her. Carly says she’s right. She can’t make a call on someone she hasn’t met, and she wants to change that.

Laura sees Valentin on the docks. She starts yelling at him, and putting her finger in his face, and he backs up. She says she’ll get Spencer to drop the lawsuit; she can even get him to leave Port Charles. Valentin says that he can’t give her what he doesn’t have. She says what if it was Charlotte. He says he’d be frantic, which is why he understands, but she’s wasting time; he had nothing to do with it. Laura grabs his lapels, and says she wants the truth. He tells her that her time would be better spent looking for who took Spencer. Laura says he won; he got everything, and Spencer is no threat to him. Valentin says she’s making his point for him. Spencer isn’t a threat, so why would he take him? She doesn’t believe one word he says, and he tells he that he’s sorry. She says that he’s not sorry about anything. She knows now why Helena thought he was the worst Cassadine of all; he’s smart and doesn’t care about anyone. She starts getting physical with him, and he breaks away. She whacks him in the back of the head with something, and he falls to the ground. Holy!

Nina says she’s fine, but Nathan says the dance she’s doing with Valentin isn’t fine. She says that she didn’t go home with him; doesn’t that count? Nathan says she’s making him jump through hoops first, so she’ll feel better when she does take him back. Nina suggests giving advice as Man Landers is rubbing off on him, and he thinks he knows everything. He says that he knows her. She thinks Valentin will give her what the others haven’t, but he’s not capable of it, and reels her in every time. Nina asks if this is how he feels about her, like she’s a pathetic, ignorant teenager. Nathan says he always has her back, but he can’t do it anymore. He tells her that if she goes back to Valentin and he breaks her heart, she’ll have to find someone else to help her pick up the pieces.

Ava says she would have thought Sam wanted her out of Avery’s life. Sam says she’s been thinking, and believes that children should be with their mothers. Ava says, mothers like her? Sam says that Ava isn’t a monster, and Ava asks if her actions don’t make her one. Sam says what do Sonny’s actions make him? Ava wonders where this is coming from, and Sam says that she’s been thinking about karma – Ava has had to pay the price for her actions, but Sonny hasn’t. Doesn’t she want to be around when he does? She can close herself off to the world and concede victory to Sonny, or she can have what she wants and reclaim her life the way she wants. Sam puts the mask on Ava, and takes her to the mirror. Now she looks like a character from one of the Purge movies.

Josslyn asks why Carly wants to meet Oscar, and says no way. Carly asks if Josslyn is afraid she’ll embarrass her, and Josslyn says yes. Carly says she thought she was a hip mom, and Josslyn tells her not to say “hip.” Carly tells Josslyn that the teenage years are hard, but they’ll get through it with talking and respecting each other, and Josslyn says she’ll try. Carly insists on knowing what Oscar is about if Josslyn wants to hang out with him. She promises not to embarrass Josslyn that much.

Valentin gets back on his feet, and asks if Laura is insane. She tells him to give her back her grandson. He says she doesn’t want to end up seeing him from behind bars in jail. Jason comes up behind him, and puts him in a headlock. Geez, nothing like some serious overreaction on everyone’s part except Valentin’s.

Sam comes back to an empty place. She sees a note from Jason that says he’ll be back in time for her appointment. In her head, Sonny says it appears that she was wrong about who would have Jason for how long. Sam gets her gun from the closet and leaves.

Carly calls Sonny, hoping for an update. He says that he expects good news soon. She asks why, and he tells her he brought in someone else – Jason is on it.

Valentin is back on the ground again, and Laura asks how Jason knew. He tells Laura that she can’t raise a kid from a prison cell. If Valentin has Spencer, he promises he’ll get him back.

Sonny tells Carly he’ll update when he can, and he loves her. A picture of Spencer in a basement appears on his phone.

Next time, Oscar has information about Spencer, Jason interrogates Valentin, Mac tells Nathan that he can’t tell anyone, especially Maxie.

🍴 I  caught MasterChef tonight, and the contestants had to create a five-star hotel breakfast at the Beverly Restaurant in the Peninsula Hotel. Scrambled eggs reared their ugly heads again, and the blue team was subject to a pressure test. Team captain Yachecia was given a nearly Sophie’s choice – either save herself, or save six of her teammates. She had the confidence to save the six, and was pitted against Jennifer in making fish and chips. Jennifer ended up going home, but got a major consolation prize when Aaron Sanchez told her that the doors to his NOLA restaurant were open for her to work there. In her exit interview, she said she was going to take him up on it. Gordon said she was going home way too early, but she really didn’t seem like the competition type, getting overly emotional over almost everything. I’m not picking on her, just sayin’ that maybe that kind of stress isn’t for her. Next time, steaks are at the forefront. After they introduce Daisy the cow, which seems rather cruel. Something shocking happens to render the judges speechless.

General Hospital

As they walk into Sonny’s house, Carly tells Sonny it was a generous offer. He doesn’t want to sell Pozzulo’s, but says it’s gotta go. Not to this investor though. Laura comes by. She needs Sonny’s help. She tells him that Spencer is missing.

Dante reads Spencer’s notes. Claudius equals Valentin; Hamlet equals me. Nina mentions that Spencer thought his life paralleled Hamlet’s. Valentin says he has a simple explanation. Nathan says that every criminal has one, and Dante says there’s one formality first – he’s under arrest. Valentin says he didn’t kidnap Spencer, and they know it.

At the hospital, Finn talks to someone on the phone about cell research data. Lucy comes to the desk. She’s glad he’s back at work and following the dream. She says she has the keys to his dream house, and asks where Hayden is, but he doesn’t know what’s keeping her.

Obrecht looks at her laptop, and says let’s see what Hayden/Rachel is up to. She reads, arrested for attempted murder; charges dropped. After a few similar articles, she says the woman always manages to slither away, but there must be something she’s missing. Hayden walks in the office, and asks what she’s still doing there.

Dante asks how Valentin ended up with Spencer’s notes in his pocket, and Valentin says that he dropped them. Dante asks if it was while he was kidnapping him, and Valentin explains that he tried to make a peace offering of the ring his father gave him, but Spencer wasn’t receptive. Dante asks if everything stayed cool afterward, and Valentin tells Dante that Spencer said he’d see him buried with it. Dante asks how Valentin reacted to that, and Valentin tells him he admired Spencer’s conviction, but not so much the delivery. Nathan says if Spencer wins his lawsuit, it could cause Valentin some problems, but Valentin says that’s a big if. Dante suggests that Valentin might have wanted Spencer to disappear.

Laura tells Sonny that no one knows how long Spencer has been gone. He has a history of acting out, but this is different. Spencer wants Valentin to pay for the death of his father, and he’s going to sue him for wrongful death. More important, Spencer told Charlotte that Valentin killed Nicholas, and Valentin was furious. Sonny asks if he threatened Spencer, and Laura says not directly, but he told Charlotte that she’ll never have to see Spencer again. Carly interjects that she’s not defending him, but it’s a huge leap. Laura tells them that Valentin came after Spencer once before, and asks Sonny if he can use his connections to help find him.

Obrecht tells Hayden that she’s downloading her digital connections. Hayden says she’s had enough time to gather her things, and Obrecht says they’re all ready to be carted away to her funeral pyre. Hayden tells her that what she did was criminal, and she should be in jail. Obrecht says that she won’t waste her breath on the woman who supported Finn’s actions. Hayden tells Obrecht to go before she calls someone to have her carted away.

Finn tells Lucy about what happened with his drug tests, and Lucy says that Obrecht is delusional. Finn says when she focuses, she can be a great physician. Lucy says we all have faults, but Obrecht has caused more than her share of pain and suffering. Obrecht trudges out with her stuff, Hayden following, and tells Lucy to go ahead and gloat. Her Willkommen and 99 Luftballoons were show stoppers at the Nurses Ball, and Lucy should have taken advantage of her talents while she could, but alas, her performances are never to be repeated.  Lucy tells her that somehow, the show will go on and auf wiedersehan. Obrecht tells Finn and Hayden no hard feelings. She sees a bright future for them and their offspring.

Sonny has his guys looking for Spencer. Laura suggests that Valentin might have gone to a middleman, but Sonny says he’d know about it. He’ll apply whatever pressure he can. Laura apologizes for putting him in this position, but he says that Spencer is family, and he’ll bring him home – whatever it takes.

Dante asks when Valentin last saw Spencer. Valentin tells Dante that it was when he upset Charlotte. He admits to being angry, but never laid a hand on him or threatened him. He went with his lawyer to petition the court, and after he was granted visitation, went back to the park to show Laura the document and pick up Charlotte. He asks why they’re wasting time with him. If Spencer is in danger, they should be focused on that. Dante has him sent to the interrogation room, and Nathan says he’ll check on Valentin’s alibi. He asks if Nina needs a ride, but she has a request. Nathan says no. She says he’s her husband, albeit ex, and asks Nathan to trust her on this one.

Nina goes into the interrogation room. She tells Valentin that she wants the truth.

Lucy shows the townhouse to Finn and Hayden. Finn sees possibilities. He talks about renovating, and Lucy says that might be something they want to do after the baby. Finn mentions the property having a tennis court, and Lucy gets ahead of things, saying they’ll produce the next Serena Williams. (Is that who Serena is named after?) Hayden says what if she doesn’t like tennis? Lucy suggests taking some time to look around. She has another appointment, and she’ll be back afterward.

Finn can tell something is up with Hayden, and asks what’s wrong. Does she not like the house? Hayden says it’s not the house; it’s her.

Sonny tells Laura not to rush to judgement, but Laura wonders who else would target Spencer? (Hmm… I just had a thought – Nicholas?) Carly tells her that Sonny is thorough, and will investigate everything. Dante calls and asks Laura to come to the station. Carly tells her that they’ll keep each other posted, and Sonny promises to get Spencer home. After she leaves, Sonny asks if Carly is okay with this. She wants him to do whatever it takes, and he thinks it’s ironic that whenever he tries to get out of the business, someone wants him back in.

Nina tells Valentin that they’re alone now. He says he’d never hurt a child. He was mad at Spencer, and there was no excuse for hurting Charlotte. He says Spencer is lucky that he didn’t tell him how Nicholas used him, and that Nicholas is probably still alive and not giving him a second thought. (See? They’re talking way too much about Nicholas.) He tells Nina that he would never be so mean, and would never hurt him – she knows him. She says that she doesn’t know about that, and that’s why she’s here. He says she’s not being honest. She knows he would never hurt that boy. She made him better, and gave him a reason to be, and the courage to change into someone she could be proud of and love. He tells her to look in his eyes and tell him that she doesn’t still believe in him.

Obrecht says that Hayden must have helped her father, but walked away without so much as a slap on the wrist. And she calls Obrecht a criminal.

Finn says the house has everything on Hayden’s wish list, but she’s upset. Whatever it is, she can tell him. She says it’s so much like where she grew up, it brings back old memories. He tells her forget about the past. He has so many skeletons, he hears them rattling around at night. He says this is an empty place with empty closets. She asks when he started seeing the glass as half full, and he says when he stopped putting poison in his veins and fell in love with her. He suggests that they start new memories, and they kiss. He says this is for the realtor, since they have to find out what works and what doesn’t, and they start getting busy.

Sonny tells Carly that Valentin is too smart to use anyone connected to him. He’s going to tell him that if he’s involved, there will be retaliation. The only option is to bring Spencer home without a scratch. Josslyn shows up, and starts to cry. Carly holds her, and asks what’s going on. Josslyn says she’s done something terrible, and doesn’t know how to fix it.

Nina wants to believe Valentin for Charlotte’s sake. He says how about for who they were, and who they can still be? He wants the truth too. Does she see a monster or the man she wanted him to be?

Laura asks Dante what’s up. He says nothing has panned out yet, but he wants to corroborate something Valentin said. He asks if Laura was present when Charlotte told Valentin about Spencer. She says the kids went back to camp afterward, and Valentin made it clear that he was furious. Dante asks if he threatened Spencer. Laura says no, but the implication was there. He asks if Valentin left the park after that, and she says he did, but that doesn’t matter. Dante says he wants the bare facts. Laura insists that either Valentin kidnapped Spencer or hired someone. An officer tells Dante that the witness has arrived.

It’s Mrs. Goodwin, who feeds the pigeons in the park every day because they depend on her, and she looks like you think she would. She tells Dante that she saw a man dragging young boy out of the park, but doesn’t know where they went. Dante asks if she could remember what he looked like if he shows her some pictures. She says she could, and he brings out some photos. He asks if she recognizes anyone.

Nina tells Valentin that she sees Charlotte’s father, a man who’s done things he regrets, a man who’s promised to be better, and a man she believes. He thanks her.

Dante explains that their suspect might not be there, but Mrs. Goodwin picks out Valentin’s photo.

Obrecht says that Hayden has managed to bury past transgressions; no crimes or convictions. She has to admit that she’s impressed. She says the world is your oyster when you grow up with silver spoon. Something dawns on her, and she says she’s been looking at all the wrong cases.

While they’re putting their clothes back on, Hayden asks Finn if he’s really willing to plant a garden instead of having a tennis court. Lucy comes back, noting that they’re getting dressed, and asks if it was to their liking. Finn says, no complaints.

Sonny offers to give Carly and Josslyn private time, but Josslyn wants him to stay. She says Spencer disappeared, and they think he’s been kidnapped. It’s all her fault. She’s supposed to keep an eye on the kids. Carly says it’s not her fault. She knows Spencer, and knows he’s run away before. Sonny agrees that it’s not her fault, and asks when she noticed he was gone. Carly says they might think of something the police haven’t. Josslyn says he was bugging the play director about blocking, but she didn’t notice he was gone until Valentin came to get Charlotte. Sonny asks how that happened, but she doesn’t know the details. She thinks Spencer did something that upset Charlotte. Carly asks if Charlotte was happy to see her father, and Josslyn says yes; she obviously loves him, and is always talking about him. She says when Valentin took Charlotte was when they noticed that Spencer was gone. She tells them that Laura had wanted to take him home, but couldn’t find him. She could tell Laura was worried, and then the police showed up. She asks what if they can’t find him? and starts to cry again.

Laura tells Dante that he has to get Valentin to tell them where Spencer is. Dante thanks Mrs. Goodwin, and she asks if reporters would want to talk to her. As she’s cleaning her glasses, Dante asks if she was wearing them in the park. When she tells him that she was, he asks if she can read the sign on the wall, but she tells him that the print is too small. She says that it would be no better seeing people, but she’d know Valentin Cassadine anywhere. Laura asks how she knows him, and Mrs. Goodwin says she follows the news. Dante asks if she’s sure she knows what she saw, and she insists that she is. He asks her to give him the description of a sergeant that she’d talked to, but she’s vague. After she leaves, Laura says it was a complete waste of time. Dante tells her that says witness wannabes either want to be in the news or help with a crime.

Laura busts into the interrogation room, and demands to know where Spencer is. Nina says Valentin didn’t do it. Valentin says he’s sympathetic, but either charge or let him go. Laura says he’s not going anywhere. Dante says they’ll have to let him go if his alibi checks out. Nathan comes in, saying that Valentin’s lawyer got the grant from the judge, leaving Valentin’s time not accounted for. Dante says, no alibi then.

Lucy asks Finn and Hayden if they saw everything, and do they like the house?

Obrecht says there are better ways to catch a rat. They’re not always in the sewer; sometimes they’re in a penthouse. She suddenly goes, ah-ha!

Carly promises Josslyn that what happened isn’t her fault, and she helped with the search before the trail was cold. Sonny says he promises they’ll find Spencer. Josslyn says, for real? and Sonny says, for real. Carly tells her wait in the car. She leaves, and Carly tells Sonny that she doesn’t want Josslyn to be alone, and thanks him for being good with her. He says that Spencer is family. He’ll do what he has to. Carly tells him to do whatever it takes.

Valentin tells them to check the security footage; he was there. Dante says, book ‘em, Danno. Laura makes a bunch of nyah-nyah faces. Valentin tells Nina that she’s right, no matter what they tell her.

Hayden loves the house, and can picture raising a family there. Lucy says, fantastic. She adds that she doesn’t want to sound real estate-y, but there are other people interested. Finn tells her to get the paperwork; they’re making an offer.

Obrecht looks at a newspaper article saying that Rachel Berlin is to wed Jared Preston. She calls Jared, saying that he doesn’t know her, but they have a mutual acquaintance. She tells him not to hang up. She’s a doctor and would like to meet with him. She thinks it’s in both of their interests to get together.

Tomorrow, Valentin posts bail. Jason asks if Sonny wants him to stop Valentin, and Ava tells Sam that she’ll have to make due with Sonny.

👯 While I’ve watched the most recent season of Little Women: LA in bits and pieces, it’s basically been, same LA, different day. Sadly, Briana still thinks Matt is a decent human, but even sadder was the fallout between Elena and Terra, which resulted in Elena choosing Jasmine as godmother to her twins. Without telling Terra first. That had to hurt. What did kind of blow my mind though, was the reunion. There was the usual fussing and fighting, and “the girl Matt kissed” was trotted out. It was somewhat of a letdown when she claimed that all he did was talk about his wife. I’m not sure if I believe that one, but it didn’t help change Briana’s mind any. What startled me was host (mediator? referee?) Kevin Frazier’s technique of basically bullying the cast. I can understand breaking up a fistfight before it starts – as much as I’d like to see one sometimes – but he was a total bummer, acting like a classroom monitor whenever snarky remarks started happening. Isn’t that what these reunions are for? So everyone can hurl insults at each other get things off their chests? He practically asked Terra’s husband Joe to leave, and Joe is probably the most entertaining cast member, even though he’s not technically a little woman. I’ve always thought that the hosts of these non-Bravo reunions are second-rate entertainers desperate for a job, with the exception of Vivica A. Fox. My mind has blessedly left a blank regarding which show she hosts for (Little Women: Atlanta?), but every time I see her on it, I just think, but you were in Kill Bill – what happened? So thanks, Kevin, for squelching what might have been the highlight of the entire season.

General Hospital

Julian rings Alexis’s doorbell. She says she’s working on a new case. He hopes she has time for one more, but she says she’s not representing him. He’s no asking her to; he wants her to be a witness.

Hayden is proud of Finn, and wants to celebrate. He tells her that the townhouse he was buying fell out of escrow. He’s found another one, but they have to move fast. Griff appears and says assuming he passes the next drug test. Finn says they already proved the others were tampered with. Monica joins them, and says that she wants to have a serious talk with Finn.

At the Crimson office, Nina tells Nathan that the Man Landers interview is being edited. He says he’s getting in deeper and deeper. He asks if she’s keeping her promise to stay away from Valentin. She says she is, but he’s not staying away from her; he told her he’s pulling out all the stops. Nina tells Nathan that he’s starting with this, and shows him some paperwork. He says a nursing home for horses; Valentin knows how to win her heart back. He asks if it’s working.

Charlotte says she’s not hungry, but if she gets more ice cream, she and Valentin don’t have to leave.

Laura calls Dante and tells him that Spencer has disappeared. Dante thinks it’s not that unusual. He says Lulu told him that Spencer has taken off a lot. Laura says he’s been aggressive about wanting to get his inheritance back from Valentin, and that’s what has her worried. She thinks Valentin would like nothing better than for Spencer to disappear.

Julian tells Alexis that he wants her to tell the truth, and nothing but.

Monica looks all serious, and says according to his latest test results… Finn is okay. His test was negative, and he’s vindicated her faith in him. She did that thing like they do on the competition shows, acting like the results were horrible, when he’d really won the prize. Finn is wanted in the conference room. Monica congratulates him on being officially reinstated.

Nina tells Nathan that she might be able to entertain the idea of giving Valentin a second chance, but only if he can put the past in the past, and create a future with her and Charlotte. He asks if she told Valentin that, and she says she told Nelle. He says that’s worse; she’s just trying to convince herself. Nina says sometimes people do terrible things, and Obrecht enters her office, saying even she’s capable of indiscretions. Nina adds, sometimes before her morning coffee. Obrecht says no one is beyond redemption. She wants to discuss something with Nina privately, and Nathan leaves.

Nina tells Obrecht that she heard what happened. Obrecht says she’s glad to be rid of GH.

When Finn gets to the conference room, there’s a surprise party for him.

At the station, Laura explains everything to Doc, and tells him about Valentin’s court order. She also tells him that Spencer is missing. Dante says with any luck, someone saw him. Laura says he would have told Chandler if he was going somewhere. Dante asks if he’s that considerate, and Doc says, no, that thorough. Laura says it has to be Valentin, and tells Dante about the altercation at the park. Dante says that doesn’t mean anything, and she tells him about lawsuit. Doc says at the least, he’ll suffer public humiliation, and at worst, be wiped out. Laura says it’s clear he wanted it to go away.

Valentin tells Charlotte that they never have to be apart again. They can even petition the court again, and she could come back to Windemere to live. He says Spencer is a troubled young man, but it’s not okay for him to take his unhappiness out on her. She won’t be seeing him anymore. Valentin sees an Amber Alert for Spencer on his phone.

Alexis tells Julian that she’ll go to jail if she lies, and there’s no proof about Olivia-J threatening her. Julian says that he took bullet so Alexis could walk away. She says Leo could tear this apart on the stand, but Julian thinks a jury will buy it. He says if she testifies, she’ll be risking everything, and has nothing to gain by lying, so they’ll believe her. She says it’s not a good argument, but a huge stretch. The only way she’ll do it is if he testifies too. She makes him swear on a Bible. Like that means anything to him.

Finn tells Monica that her bedside manner is worse than his. She toasts to his courage. She says they look out for each other, but today they’re here for him. He thanks each of them for giving him a second chance, but says wouldn’t be on the planet if not for Hayden. Elizabeth says that in his honor, they’ve raided the vending machines.

Nina tells Obrecht that they already have a medical column, but Obrecht isn’t suggesting anything fluffy. She wants to write a serious scholarly report on medical research. Nina thinks a medical journal would be best for her work. Obrecht says that Nina has no place for her, and why should her talents be appreciated there when they were dismissed by the hospital? Nina says she’ll call around and find an opportunity that’s a better fit for her talent. Obrecht says that’s surprisingly kind. She’ll think about it while she collects her final paycheck, and then goes off to the cow pasture. While Nina ponders this, music from the Planet Terror soundtrack is played. I’m not kidding. I’ve seen that movie a thousand times.

Nathan calls Nina and asks her to come to the station. He needs to talk to her about Spencer.

Valentin suggests that he and Charlotte go to Windemere and feed the horses. Laura and Doc enter the restaurant and ask if Charlotte is having a nice visit. She tells them about going to feed the horses. Dante comes in, and says before they go, he needs to ask Valentin some questions. Valentin says he has a court order for visitation, but Dante says that it’s just a few questions about something else. Valentin tells Charlotte to stay, and if he’s not back in time for them to go to Windemere, they’ll see the horses next visit. Charlotte asks Laura if this is because of Spencer.

At the station, Nathan asks Nina about Spencer coming to Windemere. She tells him about going to get her jewelry, and the door being unlocked. She found Spencer inside, and says he was trying to get proof that the estate was his, but only found a copy of the will saying it was left to Valentin. After that, he seemed more determined than disappointed. Nathan asks if it seemed like he intended further action. Nina says not that night, but before. He came to her office, and demanded Windemere back. She explained that it was Valentin’s, and he wanted to contact him, but Laura and Doc arrived. Nathan asks if she thinks Spencer is capable of acting on his own. She says yes, but all Nathan knows is that he’s disappeared.

Hayden tells Elizabeth to pinch her because everything is going so well. When she does, Hayden is like, hey, and Elizabeth says she told her to do it. Elizabeth admits to being just a little jealous. Hayden says she thought Elizabeth was happy with Franco. Elizabeth says she is, but it will never be normal, not that it’s necessarily a bad thing. She tells Hayden that she deserves some calm for sticking by Finn. Griff gives a toast, saying the day has been a long time coming. He talks about how the guest of honor has been misunderstood. They broke the rules, but is someone that GH couldn’t live without. Obrecht overhears, and for a moment, thinks the party is for her. She walks in.

Alexis questions Julian. He talks about Olivia-J’s machinations, but Alexis says that was after. What about before he grabbed Alexis on the pier and held a knife to her throat? He asks if she remembers him asking his sister if he hadn’t done enough. Alexis remembers, and also remembers Olivia pretending to be an AA sponsor. She says she remembers how Julian didn’t warn her, not even a little hint. Julian says that if she’d known, she would have acted differently, and if Olivia had realized, she would have sliced Alexis’s throat open for real. He begged Alexis not to use her as a sponsor. She’d already almost killed Sam and Scout. Alexis asks if there’s anyone who can corroborate that; there’s no evidence to the contrary. He says he doesn’t have a witness, but he does have proof.

Monica asks Obrecht if they can help her, and she runs out. Hayden follows, saying she’s glad Obrecht came. She asks if Obrecht thought she was getting a gold watch, and says she’s lucky she’s not in prison.

Charlotte tells Doc and Laura about Valentin saying that Spencer is troubled, and that he misses his father, but shouldn’t be taking it out on her. And he told her that she won’t be seeing Spencer anymore.

Nina asks what Valentin is doing at the station. He says he has no idea. Dante tells him that Spencer disappeared from the park, and according to Laura, Spencer told Charlotte that Valentin had killed his father. Nina says he had no right to pick on Charlotte. Valentin says Spencer is a child, which gives him leeway, but he’s unhappy with the grown-ups who have indulged him. He’s a bully and a precocious jerk, which is what he told Laura.

Julian hands Alexis the letter that he’d left for her, and tells her to read it again, so they can enter it into the record. She reads about Olivia-J’s threats, and that he had one mission, to protect his family. Julian starts to recite the letter, saying that he never stopped loving her. He tells her that the defense rests. A tear rolls down her cheek.

Hayden gives Obrecht her severance pay. Obrecht asks if Hayden has any idea what she’s achieved. Hayden says she’s a magnificent healer. She looked at Obrecht’s file, and says she has amazing skill and vision. Obrecht asks why then? Hayden says she also took a good look at her background, and she’s like two people – one willing to help others, and the other willing to destroy them. She has to go, the sooner the better. Obrecht says it won’t stop her. Finn comes out to check on Hayden, and Obrecht says how chivalrous. She asks where his sense of honor and duty was when he was injecting himself while attending to patients. He tells her that he owned up to his mistakes, and now it’s her turn. He has a chance to have a future. Obrecht laughs, saying he’s as sanctimonious as Griff, but at least Griff is easy on the eyes. Finn admits Griff is handsome. Hayden tells Obrecht to take her severance pay and go.

Laura asks what Charlotte thinks her poppa meant. Charlotte says Spencer hurts her feelings, so she doesn’t have to see him anymore. Laura wants to take her home, but she wants to wait. Doc says it might take a while, and she asks why.

Dante tells Valentin that he might want to consult a lawyer. Valentin says that he would never harm a child, and Dante brings up the lawsuit. Valentin tells him that Alexis is exploiting a child with a suit that has no merit, but Dante says maybe he sees Spencer as something to be removed. Dante asks Nina what she thinks, and Nina tells him it’s bad police work, rushing to judgement with no witnesses or evidence. Nathan says someone saw a child being dragged from the park. When Dante asks if there was a description, Nathan says him, nodding at Valentin.

Alexis tells Julian that the letter is convincing. Julian says she knows it’s true, but she says knowing and convincing are two different things. She asks why he left her, and why he didn’t find her after he fell from the bridge? He says it was the only way to protect her. If the police had known, she would have been charged as an accomplice, and he didn’t want to implicate her. She asks why didn’t he stay dead, instead of dragging her into his dysfunction. Julian tells her that he knew he had to see her again, and she wanted it too. She says a jury isn’t going to be amused. He says he’ll take that chance as long as she’s willing. The doorbell rings. It’s a process server. Alexis says that she’s been summoned to be witness for the prosecution.

Finn thanks everyone especially Hayden. He promises she won’t regret it. Monica says welcome back to GH, now get back to work. Finn gets a call, and tells Hayden they’ll be looking at a house after his shift. They kiss.

Obrecht goes to her office, and sees her things packed. She opens her laptop, and uses Spyder Finder to look up Finn. She says what’s the point? She’s already dug up his less than spotless past, and besides, there’s a more effective method to make him pay. She puts Hayden/Rachel’s name in the search engine.

Laura tells Charlotte that Dante probably needed help on a case. Doc says he does it all the time, but it takes a while, so maybe she should go to Dante and Lulu’s. Laura says they’ll make sure her poppa knows. Charlotte says that no matter what it takes, he always comes back.

Valentin swears he had nothing to do with it. He drops a paper. It’s Spencer’s notes on Hamlet. Dante asks why he has it, and Valentin says there’s a simple explanation. (Isn’t it always?) Dante arrests him.

Tomorrow, Lucy has the keys to Finn and Hayden’s dream house, Laura needs Sonny’s help, and Hayden asks Obrecht why she’s still at the hospital.

The Real Housewives of NYC

We’re in Mexico! Bethenny has the flu, but she cancelled the last trip because of health issues, so she’s going this time. She says Ramona looks like the Bride of Frankenstein, since she decided they have a chemical peel five minutes before the flight. Carole wants to go to Taco Bell, and I’m hoping they don’t really have those there. The ladies play marry-shag-kill in the limo to the hotel. Adam and Scott (Tinsley’s blind date) are off on a guy’s trip to Vegas. Tinsley says their first date lasted five days; they ended up going to Miami. Sonja tells them she got her first d*ck pic, but it was a wrong number. Bethenny thinks that’s the best, and I agree. I wouldn’t want to be on the receiving end of that pic, but it’s funny when it happens to Sonja.

No surprise, the villa is fabulous. Even Bethenny is impressed. I’m sure Ramona will be complaining in, three…two…one. Bethenny says she wants the trip perfect. It almost didn’t happen so many times, she’s excited now. Dorinda doesn’t care what room she gets, saying she’ll sleep on the lawn. Ramona tells Sonja that they got the worst room in Miami, so she has to speak up this time. Ramona is such an immature jerk. A small buffet has already been put out, and oddly enough, their chef’s name is Ramona. Bethenny says they’re going to do the rooms fairly, and is annoyed that Ramona and Sonja are already scoping out the rooms. When they appear, she tells them they’re not playing the room game, and that nobody acts like this except for them. In her interview, she calls Ramona a grabber. We flash back to Ramona being grabby. She says Sonja isn’t much better; she’s an accomplice.

Bethenny makes the girls pick room numbers from a bowl. Tinsley says she won, and jumps up and down, so I assume she got the most coveted room. Ramona thinks she’s going to be stuck in the shed. Bethenny says karma’s a bitch, and she always shows up – even in Mexico. Ramona tries to get Tinsley to share, but Tinsley gives the room to Bethenny. Ah-ha! (In Nelson voice.)

Ramona is pissed off because Tinsley is staying with Sonja for free, and didn’t give her the room. What a couple of selfish twits. Bethenny sees Ramona and Sonja’s bags in her room, and says get them out. Sonja bitches to Tinsley about giving Bethenny the room. Bethenny tells her this isn’t bringing out the best in her. I have to add that all of the rooms are gorgeous. Carole says the both of them have zero self-awareness. They have no idea what they look like, and maybe don’t care. Ramona continues to act like a moron, asking if they can’t share or whatever. Dorinda has to explain the word lottery to her. Sonja doesn’t want any room that involves going up stairs. In her interview, Carole suggests not drinking so much, and you won’t have to worry about falling down – it’s not that complicated. Ramona continues to berate Tinsley, who says Bethenny planned the trip, and deserves the room.

Ramona and Sonja try to take Dorinda’s room next, and Dorinda asks Bethenny to help mediate. Bethenny wonders if this is normal behavior for grown women, and says, enough; Dorinda switched rooms for them last time. You get what you get and don’t get upset. Tinsley tells them to quit coming at her and being bitchy. Bethenny asks if Sonja would accept her daughter acting like this, and Sonja says no, but she wouldn’t act like this. Bethenny reminds Ramona that Dorinda has been a good friend to her, yet she trashed Dorinda’s place, and calls them room bullies. Ramona is in Dorinda’s bed, and Dorinda tells her to get out or she’s going to throw her stuff in the pool. Bethenny tells Dorinda that Ramona is neither a good nor happy person. Sonja and Ramona gripe all the way to their unwanted room.

As soon as Sonja gets her luggage in the room, Ramona decides to switch rooms. She harasses the guy who helped with her luggage because she’s too tired to unpack. She gives him a bunch of orders for the morning. Holy! Ramona is the worst.

Bethenny tells Carole to enjoy the water while she tries to break her fever. Carole has brought mustaches for everyone. Dorinda says they’re going to play the balloon game, and explains it to Carole, saying they play it in Britain all the time. That explains why I saw it on Ladies of London. Two people try to break a balloon between their bodies, and the team that breaks the most balloons, wins. Dorinda demonstrates on Carole, who calls it a drunk game.

By the pool, Dorinda wonders if Sonja and Ramona are still mad at them. Luann says it should be the other way around. Tinsley talks about how she got lambasted for not giving them the room. Luann rouses Dorinda out of the chaise lounge to go choose their outfits for dinner. Ramona and Sonja are sitting on the beach, and Tinsley thinks Sonja is angry, judging by her body language. In her interview, Carole says she thinks Tinsley is suffering from Stockholm Syndrome, and identifying with her captor.

Ramona goes blah-blah-blah to Sonja about how friendships come and go, but Sonja will be in her life forever. Back at the pool, Bethenny says that Ramona brings out the worst in Sonja. They even had two shots at the lottery. Ramona tells Sonja she’s in a good place, and let’s live in the moment. In her interview, Sonja says she’s trying to concentrate on what Ramona is saying, but she looks like a pizza pie. They kiss, and everyone by the pool is like, eww!

Dinner is at seven, it’s eight thirty, and Bethenny is the only one there. Ramona and Sonja are perusing their shoes. Tinsley got an email from someone who said Page Six is doing a story about her not being grateful to Sonja, and it’s not what she needs right now. We flash back, and it sure sounds like Ramona encouraged that story. Sonja tells Ramona that Tinsley is intimidated by Bethenny, and she’s been on her to be more loyal.

Bethenny checks on Carole and Tinsley to hurry them along. She thinks Page Six is stupid, and no one will care anyway. Bethenny asks when Tinsley is moving, and Tinsley hopes it’s soon. Luann shows up at the table. Carole says she usually can’t tell when Luann has had too much to drink, but tonight something is definitely going on. Dorinda has chosen to hole up in her room. Carole calls Sonja, who asks what time dinner is. Sigh. Bethenny says that Ramona trying to put make up on is like throwing an extra deck chair off the QE2. No clue what that means, but Carole finds it amusing.

Carole tells the group about Page Six running the item about Tinsley being ungrateful. Luann wonders who put that out there. Sonja and Ramona finally show up, insisting they’re almost two hours late because their room is so far away. Luann makes a toast to the trip, and thanks Bethenny. Ramona gripes about the toast, and Bethenny asks why she’s an animal. Ramona claims that she’s just being real. Bethenny says that’s interesting, since she needs to own all her stuff. Tinsley brings up Page Six, and Sonja acts ignorant. Tinsley asks who’s talking, and Ramona insists she avoids the press. Carole points out it’s the exact same thing Ramona said to Tinsley the last time they were together, and Tinsley says she doesn’t need this BS. Carole says that Sonja gives Page Six a lot of stories, and Sonja suddenly tries to change things that she’s said. She says who cares, and Tinsley says she does, and tells Ramona to STFU. Ramona wants to know if they’re in high school. That’s rich coming from her. Tinsley gets riled about being called inconsiderate, and Ramona changes what she just said. Almost every one of the Housewives thinks that we have short-term memory loss. In her interview, Bethenny says Sonja loves the press, and thinks it has her name written all over it. Luann has to re-collect herself in a major way, and steps away from the table. At this point, Tinsley is in tears. Bethenny tells Sonja that her friend brings out the worst in her. Bethenny says that some people could never afford this kind of trip (I raise my hand), and the two of them are greedy. She says Sonja needs to change, or she won’t have any friends. Sonja admits to having a bad side, but thinks it’s an overreaction.

Luann and Ramona sit on the steps outside. Ramona says she knows she’s not normal, but the rest of them are acting crazy. She doesn’t believe Sonja put that in the press. Inside, Bethenny tells Sonja to quit blaming Ramona; it’s not a good look.

Luann does a booty shake, and starts to walk down the stairs. She suddenly takes a dive, and falls into the bushes. The two of them laugh hysterically. In her interview, Ramona says out of all of them, Luann holds her liquor the best, so she doesn’t know what happened. One of the staff plucks Luann out of the shrubbery.

Carole and Bethenny try to calm Tinsley down. Bethenny says Sonja doesn’t hear people talk; she just keeps talking. Sonja insists that no one is hearing her side.

Ramona tells Luann that she can’t do anything right by them. Luann takes another spill, and says that’s bad. Ramona bitches about no stairs being there, and gives several other reasons that Luann fell, except the one where she’s drunk off her ass. A staff member helps her to her room.

Ramona tells the others about Luann’s acrobatics. Carole wants Tinsley and Sonja to kiss and make up, but Tinsley says no. Ramona says Tinsley always screeches and it hurts her ears.

Next time, surfing, shopping, the trip to the distillery, and Ramona has it out with both Bethenny and Sonja.

General Hospital

Julian goes to the hospital looking for Ava. He’s told she’s been released. He wonders where she is, since she’s not at her apartment.

She’s at the graveyard. Sonny and Carly see her, and she says she doesn’t want to intrude. Carly says it’s too late.

Jordan asks Curtis how Stella is, and Curtis says she’s getting to be like her old self. Jordan thinks that’s wonderful, but when Curtis doesn’t respond in kind, she wonders what’s wrong

Laura gets a call from Josslyn. She asks, what kind of incident?

Spencer is thrown into a basement. Which I’m sure he’s going to refer to as a dungeon. He yells to be let out right now.

Sonny says that was quick, and Ava says she’d rather have stayed at the hospital. Carly asks what she’s doing there, and Ava says that Morgan is always on her mind, but more so since the fire. Sonny says welcome to his son’s grave, and asks why she didn’t come sooner. Ava tells him that she didn’t want to live in a world without him. Carly says she’d drag her out of there, but doesn’t want to be arrested for assault. Ava says maybe she’s thinking of Avery too, but maybe not, since they’ve made it clear she’ll know everything. Sonny says Avery deserves to know who she is. He says she’s taken two people he loves away from him. First Connie, then Morgan. He tells her that if she’s thinking of plastic surgery, the second she’s healed, he’ll rethink letting her live. She’s not walking away from this death. I’m so glad he and Carly are both moving on and letting it go like they said they were going to.

Curtis tells Jordan he could always tell Stella anything and she’d give him straight talk, but also defend him. Jordan calls her a truth teller and protector. He’d forgotten how special it was. Jordan says it sounds like they had a great morning, so why is he upset?

Laura tells Josslyn that she’s on her way.

Spencer yells, you can’t leave me in here! The place looks very familiar – like where Maxie was held the last time she was kidnapped. Spencer says, all right, Valentin, game on. How much you want to bet that Valentin will be paying someone to take Spencer back? Like in that O. Henry story.

Ava says she knows that she’s a terrible person who’s done terrible things, especially to Morgan, but she’s paid. Carly tells her that she doesn’t get a free pass for setting herself on fire, and it will never be enough. Carly suggests that she tell the world what she did, but sonny says she has no courage or class. Ava doesn’t know what Morgan would want her to say. Sonny says she does, but she’s not going to tell them or the cops. Carly asks if it hurts. Morgan was blinded by her beauty, and now she’s a gutless, cruel monster. She killed Carly’s son, and now her face is as ugly as her soul. Carly and Sonny leave Ava alone at the cemetery.

Spencer says he’s trapped like a rat. He sees a window, and says, hello ticket to freedom, but how?

Laura sees Charlotte on a bench. She asks if Charlotte is okay, and Josslyn says she was just upset after what Spencer said, and wanted to see her father. She couldn’t get ahold of Valentin, so she called Laura. Laura says Josslyn handled it perfectly. Charlotte asks where her poppa is. Laura says Josslyn couldn’t reach him, and called her instead. Charlotte cries in her arms.

Curtis feels like an idiot. He never considered that Stella had a life before him. Jordan says Stella would say she gained more than she lost. Curtis tells her about Marcus, and how Stella passed up getting married to take care of him and Tommy. Jordan asks what happened with Marcus, and Curtis tells her about him moving to San Francisco for a job. Stella says she has no regrets, but he feels guilty. He’d assumed it was the life she chose, and it’s a game changer. Jordan says for him and Stella, or for him and her. He says both.

Sonny and Carly go to the MetroCourt bar. She says she doesn’t feel sorry for Ava, but it hit home. Ava isn’t free, and they won’t be either until they let her go. Did this hit home while Sonny was threatening Ava or Carly was calling her names?

Felix tells Ava that he has to set up her home care, and she should get off her feet. Ava asks him to give her a minute to say good-by. She tells Morgan that she was wrong. She loved him so much, and she’s so sorry. If she could go back… If she loved him like she thought she did, how did they get here? She’s trying to make amends, and not just because of the fire. She felt sick about it before that whenever she thought of him, but he probably doesn’t believe it. She doesn’t know what to believe herself.

Curtis tells Jordan that it’s all the stuff he put Stella through afterward. Jordan says Tommy was no saint, but Curtis says he wouldn’t be surprised if he was the cause of her first stroke. He talks about going on a bender, and telling her she wouldn’t be so focused on him if she had a life of her own. Jordan says he was young and didn’t know. He says she never even did the “how could you, after all I’ve done?” riff. Jordan says she didn’t feel that way, and would do anything for him. He says it’s time to put her first for a change, and Jordan says that she deserves it, but asks what it means for them.

Sonny tells Carly that it’s not over. Carly says he put fear in her about plastic surgery, and hopefully by the time she heals, they’ve moved on.

Julian finds Ava at her apartment. Felix says she’s an outpatient now, and asks if she wants alone time with her brother. She says let’s get it over with. Felix is removing some of the bandages, and she tells Julian that it might be a good time to run. Julian says he’s not going anywhere, and she asks him to cover the mirrors.

Spencer makes a lasso and tries to hook it onto a nail above the window. He gets a chair and stands on it.

Laura asks if Charlotte wanted to talk to her dad because of Spencer. Charlotte asks why Spencer is mad at him, and Laura says that she it’s confusing. Charlotte asks if what Spencer says is true, and Laura says it is, and she misses Nicholas every day. Valentin arrives, saying he’s back like he promised. Charlotte jumps into his arms, and he gives Laura a look.

Julian covers the mirrors. He says she’s seen herself already, but she says it was ages ago when she was a work in progress, and this is the new her. He tells her she’ll always be beautiful. She says he hasn’t seen her yet, and asks about him. He tells her that the trial date is set. She asks about his chances, and he says he thinks differently every minute. Julian is sporting a beard and I kind of like it. Felix asks if she’s ready. Julian says no matter what, she’s still her. She says that’s what she’s afraid of.

Carly says living well is the best revenge, and it should be their mantra. They get to grieve their son the way they should now. She doesn’t want to give Ava one more moment; it’s giving her the power, and Carly doesn’t want that anymore. Sonny says she’s probably right. Carly tells him that it’s the most difficult road they’ve had to walk down, but they made it. She says it sucks that Ava isn’t in prison, but hey get to move forward. She calls him her everything, and says this is how they win – they live – together.

Laura asks what Valentin is doing there, and he says he’s going to spend quality time with Charlotte. He has immediate, temporary visitation. Laura asks to see the paperwork and says he moves fast. He tells her he’s motivated when it comes to his daughter, and she’s his for the next three hours. He reminds Laura that Charlotte is also her granddaughter, and asks how she could sic that petulant brat on her. Laura says he’s a kid who’s been traumatized by the death of his father, and has his own mind. Valentin says she wasn’t in the room. Nicholas faked his own death and framed an innocent person, which was why he was on the island. He tells her that she doesn’t want to face the truth, and she moves to hit him, but he grabs her arm and suggests she not come after him again. Josslyn comes by with Charlotte, asking if everything is okay. Valentin leaves with Charlotte, and Laura tells Josslyn to find Spencer while she calls Lulu.

Spencer pulls himself up the wall with the rope.

Curtis tells Jordan that it came fast and strong, and he saw them going the distance. He’s sorry, but she tells him not to be. He owes this to his aunt. Curtis says he can’t break her heart after what she’s done for him. He says the funny part is, she’d be livid if she knew the reason. She doesn’t want them together, but wouldn’t want them to end like this. Jordan says that Stella wants Curtis to realize how awful she is, but he says she’s anything but. She says she thinks they’re doing the right thing, and he asks why it feels so wrong.

At the MetroCourt, Charlotte and Valentin are having ice cream. Valentin asks if she’s thinking about what happened at camp. He tells her that Spencer is mad at him, not her. He explains that Spencer’s father made poor choices. In the end, he disappeared, so Spencer is sad and angry and looking for someone to blame. He doesn’t like Spencer taking it out on her. She wants to stay at camp, and Valentin says that she can, and she’ll never have to see Spencer again. He’ll make sure of it.

While Laura is on the phone, Josslyn tells her that there’s a problem; it’s Spencer. Laura thinks he’s signed himself out, but Josslyn says he didn’t, and no one knows where he is.

Spencer falls, but says Rome wasn’t built in a day. His glasses are missing the lenses.

Sonny asks if Carly wants lunch, and she’s glad he’s done talking about Ava. Sonny’s phone rings. It’s Max. Sonny says not now, and Carly asks what’s up. He says a deal and stuff. She wonders what stuff is. He goes back to the menu, and she just looks at him.

Felix removes Ava’s bandages. He has to apply antibacterial ointment and a mask. Ava says Julian is quiet, but he says he’s concentrating on Felix, in case he need to know anything. She calls him a liar, and says it’s not a good sign that he can’t maintain eye contact. She says he should move, so none of his friends see her. She’s a monster, and it’s not the first time she’s heard it today. He asks who called her that, and she says never mind. He asks Felix if she can have a drink, and Felix gives the okay. Ava tells Felix that she can take it from there, and he tells her to call if she needs anything.

Julian apologizes. Ava tells him to please go. He says fine, but he’ll be back. She says of course, he lives there, and he tells her don’t forget it. Wasn’t she burned anywhere else except her face? She looks at a picture of herself, and takes the cloth off the mirror. Geez, it’s not even that bad. I’ve seen acne that’s worse.

Curtis wishes it was different. Jordan says that’s life, always throwing a curveball. He tells her that maybe when Stella is better, but Jordan doesn’t live life on maybe. She tells him about her bowling game being on point, and he calls her a shark. She says she’ll miss him, and he says she has no idea.

Sonny peruses the menu. Carly asks him to define stuff. He says loose ends, and asks for a break, telling her they knew it wasn’t going to be easy.

Ava looks at herself like she’s Frankenstein. She says Carly was right; she did this to herself. It’s the definition of karma. Did she think this wouldn’t haunt her and she wouldn’t have to pay? It’s who she is now. This is her face. This is her life, and it’s all her fault.

On the phone, Laura thanks Chandler, and says if he hears anything, to call her. Josslyn says Spencer isn’t in the park or camp. Laura doesn’t know where he could be, but thinks he’s missing.

Spencer gets his glass lenses back in, but they’re cracked in spots. He wonders how he’ll get out if he can’t see.

Charlotte feeds Valentin ice cream. He asks what her favorite camp activity is, and she says arts and crafts. She’s almost finished with Nina’s surprise, and says she misses Nina. Valentin says that he made a mistake, but in the end they’ll be together, and no one will keep it from happening – least of all Spencer.

Tomorrow, Dante questions Valentin. Obrecht wants to discuss something, and Julian asks Alexis to be a witness.

The Haves and the Have Nots

Veronica approaches Justin on the hospital stairwell. She says, so, you’re married. He asks how she is, and she says a little nauseous because of what she just heard. Justin feigns ignorance, and she asks if he’s having problems with his short-term memory. She asks if he and Jeffrey are friends, and barrages him with questions. She says she’s giving him a chance to practice – she’s had officers like him on the stand before. She asks if he’s married and he says he is. She asks if his wife knows about his unnatural affections and his perverted interest in her son. She says she was shocked and appalled. Jeffrey’s wife is clinging to life, and her unborn child is in danger, and Justin is dragging her son into stairwells and sexually harassing him.

Justin acts surprised, and asks if Veronica has lost her mind. She says she knows what she heard. She tries to talk, but Justin keeps interrupting. She tells him if he interrupts her again, there won’t be any more nice Veronica, and the bitch behind door number two is a show stopper. Justin asks what she’s trying to say. She says she’s going to give a statement to the press and his boss. The climate is ripe for him and this moment. He’s a white police officer sexually harassing her son, and it will be national news. Justin says they were discussing why he pulled Jeffrey over. Veronica says she knows what she heard. He says he didn’t say or do anything. She repeats what he said about what Jeffrey does to and for him, and thinks his wife would find it troubling. Justin says he’s not gay. She asks how long he’s been married and keeping it from her. He says his wife is a judge – on her case; the one involving her son. She says it’s improper to be talking to him then. He says it’s improper and dangerous to be talking like she is. She says those words will soon have a whole new meaning for him. She’s Veronica Harrington, and he’s never bothering her son again. Justin tells her that his wife knows he’s not gay, and Veronica should be more concerned about the trial. She says he’s making another threat. He says it’s not a threat, and it’s the last time he wants to hear about him and a man, and not to interfere with him and her son again. Veronica says she’ll file a motion to have his wife removed from the case on the grounds that her husband is having an affair with her son. Jeffrey steps toward her, and she tells him get back, asking who he thinks he is. He asks what scares her, and she tells him nothing and no one. He tells her to do what she has to. She says he’s not the first. Jeffrey loves himself some Wyatt. Jeffrey walks back to the hallway, and she asks what’s the matter that he doesn’t want to hear about it, calling him honey.

Jim and David see Jeffrey at the hospital. Jim asks why Wyatt is there, and Jeffrey says he tried to detox himself, and couldn’t. He wants to get his life together. Jim is surprised, and asks if Jeffrey made him come, but Jeffrey swears he didn’t. Jim wants to know where he is, but Jeffrey doesn’t think Jim should see him. He says the treatment is sensitive, and Jim should wait. Jim says he’s not the doctor. David tells Jeffrey that Jim will find out anyway, and he’s just prolonging it unnecessarily. Jim says he’s in a fragile state too. He knows Jeffrey loves Wyatt, but he does too, and wants to see that Wyatt is okay with his own two eyes. Jeffrey gives him the room number, and Jim apologizes for yelling.

David tells Jeffrey he did the right thing. Jeffrey says that Jim is a source of pain for Wyatt. David tells him regardless, Jim loves Wyatt and is still his father. He tells David that Melissa needs help. David asks what Veronica did to her, and Jeffrey says everything, but he thinks her father dying set her off. David tells Jeffrey that he and Veronica were friends with them for years, and he was sorry to hear about it. He says that he heard Jeffrey had something to do with Quincy’s murder. Jeffrey says he was a horrible person. David knows that and asks what happened. Jeffrey says he didn’t mean to, and David says to tell him. Jeffrey explains that it all happened in slow motion. He walked in on Quincy beating Candace, and hit him with a vase. Quincy got up and started hitting Jeffrey, and the next thing he knew, he was on the floor covered in blood. David asks if he stabbed Quincy, and Jeffrey admits he did. He asks if Veronica knows, and Jeffrey says she found out. David asks why not call the police? Jeffrey tells him that Candace says it would be considered a crime of passion, and they’d be arrested, and he didn’t want to get David involved. David says as Jeffrey’s father, he’s already involved. Jeffrey continues, saying they buried Quincy in the backyard because of all the cameras being around. David knows what Veronica has on him now. Jeffrey thinks it’s going to be okay. Veronica said she’ll have discovery of the body thrown out because of the warrant being issued in the wrong name. David says if she pulls it off, they might look for witnesses, but Jeffrey says the only other person who knows is Benny. David says he’ll get him out of it. Jeffrey asks how, and David tells him to get a room at a hotel and call him. He tells Jeffrey it will be all right, and Jeffrey thanks him.

Jim goes to Wyatt’s room. Anna introduces herself. She says she runs the rehab program that Wyatt signed into. Jim asks how he’s doing. Anna can’t say yet, but he’s strong and really trying. Jim requests a few minutes alone with Wyatt, but Anna doesn’t think it’s a good idea. She says he’s sleeping, but Jim says he won’t wake him. He understands they don’t want him agitated, and asks for a little time. She says she’ll be outside.

Jim wipes Wyatt’s forehead with his handkerchief and kisses him. He smells the hanky, and puts it back into his pocket. Aw, it’s a side of Jim we’ve never seen. He tells Wyatt he’s got this, and leaves. He tells Anna that he’s sorry, and asks if she’s sure he’ll be okay. She says he has to want it. She thinks he does, but they’ll see what happens. Jim says Wyatt is all he’s got, and asks for her card. She says they know all the tricks and he’s in the best hands.

Katheryn sees Hanna sitting on the couch and asks how she feels, but Hanna doesn’t know. She asks if Hanna has been up all night, and says she has to eat something. She realizes there’s nothing anyone can say or do, only God can help. Hanna says she doesn’t know who she is right now, and Katheryn understands. Hanna needs to call Benny, and uses the phone while Katheryn gets the dishes out.

Mitch answers the phone. He tells Hanna that Benny is out. Hanna says she needs to talk to him about funeral arrangements, and Mitch says he’ll have Benny call her.

Hanna says she doesn’t know where Benny is, and Katheryn says to let her help. Hanna can’t even afford the casket, and Katheryn says she’ll cover the funeral. Katheryn says after all Hannah has done for her family, she shouldn’t worry; she loves Hanna. Hanna thanks her, but Katheryn says no, she should be thanking Hannah. Hanna thinks of the funeral home questions – what was their favorite flower and favorite color – and wonders how she’ll know. Katheryn tells her to just choose for him. Hanna says he loved purple, and Katheryn says it’s a start. Katheryn tells Hanna that she’ll handle Benny too, but they have to get food into her. Hanna doesn’t want to eat, but Katheryn says she needs to. Hanna asks if Katheryn is cooking. When Katheryn says she is, Hanna tells her that now she knows she doesn’t want anything. Katheryn says that Hanna’s laughter will come back, as well as her smile. Maybe Katheryn’s cooking will get her there. Hanna doesn’t think so, and Katheryn asks how you turn the oven on.

Candace hears kids playing in Charles’s room. They open the adjoining door and say hello. They ask if she knows their dad, and say he’s going to be president. Charles tells them not to bother her, but she says they’re beautiful. They ask if she’s voting for him, and she says yes. He tells them to get ready for school and asks the nanny to take them, promising he’ll be there to tuck them in.

Charles says he takes being a father seriously, and sorry they bothered her. Candace says it’s no bother, but she’s surprised there’s no secret service. He says that he wants them to have it as normal as possible until they get to the White House. She’s surprised at how comfortable he is, not caring about the recording. He says he’s calm on the surface, but his feet are paddling underneath. She tells him to come over.

Charles goes to Candace’s room, and she tells him to close the door. He says he has a rally in an hour and a half, and she repeats her request. He closes the door, and she says he learns fast, He asks if she does, and she says it depends on the lesson. She says he knows what he’s doing, but it needs work. He asks if she’ll teach him, and she says yes. She can’t believe how unfazed he is. He asks if she’s a threat to him, and she says no. He says she did screw up his day. She says she screwed his night, but he says he means that she’s been on his mind. He tried giving a speech, but only thought of her. She tells him the magic is working. He tells her that it’s the most fun he’s had in a long time, and she says they’ll have more tonight. He thinks it’s going to get really fun. She says it’s not his decision because she’s in control. He mentions that she has the recording, but she says she gave him everything. He thanks her, but she says she wasn’t going to do anything. He says he’s not the type to wait for the other shoe to drop, and she suggests they drop shoes right now, demanding that he take off his clothes. He wants to tell her something, but she says, clothes off now. William complies. He says he’s a sucker for a pretty face, and she tells him to get into bed.

Benny tells Logan that he’s been sitting there all night long. Logan says that he’s not under arrest, and Benny asks why he’s there. Logan tells him that he was brought in for questioning, and Benny says he’s leaving then. Agent Davis comes in and asks for Benny’s DNA. Benny says they’re not getting any blood from him, and he has rights. They have reason to believe he’s a threat to a presidential candidate, and Benny asks what’s going on. He doesn’t know any candidate, and didn’t threaten anyone. Logan tells him to relax.

Candace and Charles bask in the afterglow. Candace takes a snap on her phone, and he tells her she can’t do that. She says she just did. He says she has no respect for his accomplishments; he’ll be the youngest president. She says she respects the office, but he’s human like everyone else, and bleeds if you cut him. He wonders if that’s why the phone and recording. She asks why he’s so trusting, and he says he’s always been. She tells him that a girl needs something for a rainy day; it’s all the power in the world, and all the power to hold against him. He doesn’t like being blackmailed, and she asks why he’s so serious. He says she has no idea who or what he is. He’s Senator Charles Walter Fredricks. Suddenly, a bunch of guys in suits storm into the room. One tells Candace that she’s in violation of the Patriot Act. She’s under arrest for terrorism. Charles says to look at him, and repeats she’s under arrest. He doesn’t like playing games.

Next time, Veronica slaps Melissa, Wyatt tells Jim that he’s the one who put him in jail, and Charles says that Candace is a powder keg waiting for a spark.

Below Deck Mediterranean

Captain Sandy tells Wes he has to choose a second, and he goes with Malia. He doesn’t want it to look like he’s doing it just because he likes her, but says that she deserves it.

Guest Shannon bugs Adam while he’s cooking. He says it’s hard for him to stay focused, but with a charter broker on board, dinner has to be perfect. Hannah says charter brokers can literally make or break your career.

Wes talks to Malia about being lead deckhand. He says he’ll talk to the others tomorrow. In her interview, Malia says it’s an earned title, but she’s afraid the other deckhands will think she earned it in a different way. Hannah talks about Bugs, saying there’s only a few more charters left, and then she’ll be free.

The captain asks Wes and Malia to check for a dragging anchor. There’s an alarm sounding, so she knows there’s one somewhere. The guests sip cocktails. Captain Sandy says they have to head back to port, since they’re surrounded by rocks, and the anchors won’t hold them in the strong wind. She has Hannah tell the guests what’s happening, and that tomorrow they’ll resume a normal day. Shannon says they’ll expect it to be made up. I think she’s joking, but I’m not positive.

Adam says they have to go into full diversion mode – get the guests drunk, then fed. I’m loving the appetizers – caviar on a bed of what looks like red onions. Captain Sandy says docking at night is tough, and with the wind, it can be dangerous. The stuffed roast thrills the guests. The wind is whipping, and the captain is having a hard time, but they successfully dock. Dessert is presented. There’s ice cream and whipped cream involved, and I know I’d gain a thousand pounds on this yacht.

Shannon goes to the wheelhouse. She tells the captain that dinner service was good, but there are a few things she’s noticed. Ugh! When it starts like that, you know she’s become a pita.

Commercial break. Girl’s Trip looks like a lot of fun. I’m in for anything with Queen Latifah, but this is also my kind of chick flick. I’m not keen on the romances, but like the buddy movies. The Women was great, and I don’t often say that about a remake. I got talked into seeing The Proposal, the plot description swearing up and down there was a twist ending that I wouldn’t guess. Well, I did, five minutes into the film, and never let that friend pick the movie again.

Captain Sandy asks Shannon if it’s on the service side. She says no, but there have been little things, like the crew missing a used towel. The captain says she told the crew to step it out because Shannon knows all.

It’s 57 degrees, freezing for the Mediterranean. Captain Sandy calls Wes and Malia to the bridge. She says they have to stay docked, so they have to pour it on. Hannah thinks of a couple of things for the guests to do. In her interview, Hannah says when she’s stressed Captain Sandy tends to micromanage, and there’s already tension among the crew. Wes relays the message to the rest. The captain tells Shannon what happening. She doesn’t want to disappoint anyone, but with the wind at 27 knots, it’s nots happening. She tells Adam to make sure everyone is well fed. He talks about the relationship of a captain and a charter broker being like Tom and Jerry.

Shannon wonders if the crew is trained in massage, and Lauren says they’re trained in booking them. In his interview, Adam says he’s never had the feelings he does for Malia before, and I gag. Hannah calls to arrange for masseuses to come to the yacht. She wants to give the most perfect service they can under the circumstances.

In his interview, Bobby says he’s used to being rewarded for hard work. He’d hoped to go from cleaning the boat to driving the boat. Malia is stoked, but feels guilty. A guest wanders around, and Hannah has to explain weather to him. The guests grumble about not going to the beach. I’ve been on the beach when it’s cold and windy, and they really don’t want to do that unless they’re in parkas. Bugs says she’d rather be in a hotel, but Adam says they don’t give the same kind of service. Bugs has decided to put her feelings aside, and try to be as professional as possible.

Hannah tells the guests they’ve gotten a private tour guide, and also a couple of masseuses. Wes tells his deckhands about choosing Malia as lead deckhand. He thinks that she shows promise, and the desire to go further in the industry. He explains what’s going on for the day, and says have a good one. Bobby tells Malia she deserves it. She says she was nervous, but Captain Sandy did have a say. In his interview, Bobby says she kicks ass on deck, but he thought he was lead deckhand already, since no one else has his experience. Hannah congratulates her.

One of the guests has decided to leave. Hannah says that’s never happened before, and unless she can bring out a unicorn, their tip is in jeopardy. She tells the captain, who has also never had a guest leave. The exiting guest complains that they were promised something the crew couldn’t deliver, and it’s unprofessional. I guess because the crew controls the weather. She tells the captain if they’re not going to be on the water, she can’t. Unreal. In her interview, Captain Sandy says that if they leave the dock, she puts everyone at risk because it’s not safe.

On shore, the guests go to the palace. There are Roman soldier reenactors, and everything looks interesting and cool, but the guests are bored because they have no intellect whatsoever. Bobby makes an excuse about the schedule and having to get back, and the guests are glad to be off the hook. In the hot tub, Shannon says it’s the last night of vacation.

Malia talks to Bugs about Wes kissing her on the bridge. She says it’s hard because he’s her boss. In her interview, Lauren says you don’t promote the one you’re hooking up with, and it would be like if she made out with the captain, and became chief stew. Lauren tells Hannah about Malia and Wes making out. Hannah can’t believe it after she got called out for being unprofessional in texting a guest. In her interview, she says she’s torn between calling Malia out for being a hypocrite, and buying her a drink.

Malia tells Wes that now he understands why she didn’t want to kiss the boss. He says he doesn’t usually do things like that. Lauren calls Bobby, saying she needs some help with something, but she really wants to get him out on deck so she can pass along the info about Malia and Wes. In the galley, Bugs, Malia and Max watch them on the monitor. Lauren tells Bobby to say that he overheard it in his cabin. In his interview, Bobby says he doesn’t have the fire department to fall back on anymore, and this is his career. Now he and Max have to work for the boyfriend and girlfriend.

Hannah hopes that a local acapella group and a Croatian-themed dinner will make up for them being a floating hotel. Bobby gossips to Max. In his interview, Max suggests that Wes kiss him. The singers give a mini concert, and then another amazing table setting is displayed. Lots of gold and green vines. Bobby asks Wes for a quick chat. He tells Wes that there’s a rumor about him and Malia making out, and Wes says it’s true. Bobby asks how Wes thinks that looks. It’s hard to believe his decision wasn’t based on personal stuff. Bobby says he busted his ass last season to get to this one, and thinks it’s unprofessional (word of the night) and BS, but Wes stands by his decision. Bobby says his hard work doesn’t mean sh*t. Whatever they eat in Croatia looks pretty good, and the entrée is based around snapper. The guests are satisfied, and Hannah is glad to see Adam dressing better.

Thw captain asks the guests how dinner was, and it gets rave reviews. The guests move to the hot tub. Hannah is concerned that Bobby is going straight off the rails.

In the morning, the guests are met with mimosas, and one bloody Mary. Bobby wonders out loud to Malia how professional it is to make out on the bridge during a watch. He has nothing to say about her work ethic, but thinks his was never seen because Wes is up her ass. She says maybe hers is better, and really, it’s just a pat on the back, since it’s not like she got a raise. Bobby says for him it was a stab in the back. Wes appears, and tells Bobby that decision has been made. Bobby repeats that it’s unprofessional, and Wes says he doesn’t want to hear about it again.

Lauren tells Adam about Malia and Wes making out and Malia being promoted. She says Bobby has more experience, and she doesn’t think it’s right. Adam is speechless. Lauren says she doesn’t know everything, so he’ll have to talk to one of them.

Time for the guests to go. Primary Guest Jeremy says it was a bummer, but the crew’s attitude and attention to detail made up for it. He commends Adam on his cooking, and says that alone made it worthwhile.

Captain Sandy says they’ve become a team. For all his praise, Jeremy only coughed up $12K, not what she expected, considering how hard they worked. The captain says they have to turn the beat boat around for the next charter, and after that is free time.

Adam wanders around. He wanders to the bridge, where Wes and Malia are, and says, oh, his favorite couple. He says something about all of them having made out at this point. Malia says what happened, happened, and Wes says to keep it professional. Adam asks why Malia led him on. She says that she had feelings for both of them, but wants to put him in the friend zone. In his interview, Adam says she played him like a flute, and it will be painful for Wes to find out the backstory. He tells Malia that he wonders how she sleeps at night. Bobby wonders what the next night out will be like.

Bugs visits Adam’s cabin. He tells her about meeting Malia before the charter, and how they fooled around. Bugs is astounded. He says it can’t be a secret anymore. She said that she wasn’t into Wes, but was into Adam; he has the texts to prove it. Yes, he does. From the same night she was making out with Wes. She also suggested that she and Adam share a hotel room on their last night in Croatia.

They arrive in Dubrovnik, which is a stunning city. Captain Sandy says it’s like you’re walking back into history. The crew gets ready to go out. Adam asks Wes when it happened, and mumbles about having texts. Adam, Max and Bobby go to down some beer, and Wes goes with the ladies to a restaurant. The guys so some kind of shots with their beer, and Adam says, let’s go to drunk town. The guys talk about Malia and Wes, and inexhaustible topic. Adam says the yacht is a little close right now.

Wes leaves to join the guys. Lauren asks if everything is okay, and Malia says she’s been on edge. She gets why Bobby is frustrated, but it’s not like that. In her interview, Hannah says that she no longer trusts Malia. I can understand why.

In his interview, Wes says they’re already hammered, and he thinks Adam is turning to alcohol to solve his problems. Thanks, Dr. Phil! Like the crew ever does anything else but drink when they’re on break. His problem is you. Go away. He thinks the guys are being embarrassing and obnoxious, and they nearly walk into a car on a narrow street. Bobby throws Malia over his shoulder and carries her around. Adam gets in Wes’s face, trying to take a picture, and Wes smacks the phone out of his hand. Hannah steps in between them. Well, that turned quickly.

Next time… what? No preview. I guess there isn’t one after the later show. I should have paid more attention to Watch What Happens Live.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

 

The week is off to a great start. All of a sudden, I had no sound on my TV. (Please, God, anything but that.) It turned out to be a loose connection (probably due to the drilling, banging, and general aggravation of the atmosphere, with the workers building a new house across the street), and all is well now, but I had to watch GH on the FIOS website.  ♫ What I did for soaps… ♫

General Hospital

Sam tells Jason he doesn’t have to come with her to pick up her prescriptions. He says he wants to spend the day with her, and help her relax like the doctor said she should. Elizabeth comes by and says there’s an appointment cancellation. She asks if Sam wants to re-schedule her follow-up tests.

Carly visits Sonny. She wants him to put her wedding ring set back on her finger. She thought it was more than putting on a piece of jewelry; it’s renewing their commitment. He tells her to hold the thought.

Griff tells Ava she’s been released, but she doesn’t want to go. She says it’s too soon. He says she’s still healing, but no longer a risk for infection. She says she’s not letting Felix take her back to the penthouse. When he suggests going to Julian’s or Kiki’s place, she says that she’s not leaving the hospital.

Jordan calls Curtis and asks how Stella is. He says according to the doctors, she’s doing better. Since she flipped out on him about staying the night, he thinks they’re right; she’s getting back to her old self. Jordan says she wanted to spend time with TJ and give Stella some space. Curtis says he’ll make it up to her.

Andre runs into Anna at the station, where she’s following up on Valentin’s release. The charges have been dropped, and he’s a free man.

Laura walks through the park with Spencer and Charlotte. Spencer tells Laura that the original camp production was Cats until he convinced them otherwise. He says Cats has no narrative and just presents introductions of the characters until one is picked to die. Ha-ha! He’s right. He goes on about how great Hamlet is, and says that they have to do something to shock the audience. Valentin has been listening from behind a tree. He steps out, and says he couldn’t agree more. Charlotte runs to greet him.

Charlotte wonders where he was, and he says he had important business. Laura says he’s not supposed to be there. He says he’ll see Charlotte after camp, and Laura tells Spencer and Charlotte to go ahead. Laura tells Valentin that it was cruel to get Charlotte’s hopes up. He says he’s already petitioned the court about custody. Now that he’s been exonerated, it shouldn’t be a problem.

Charlotte asks Spencer why he’s so mean to her poppa, since he never did anything to him. Spencer tells her that Valentin murdered his father.

Andre asks if Anna is bothered by Valentin getting a free pass. She says he was lucky, and she hopes he takes advantage of making a new life for himself. If he goes back to his old ways, she’ll have to take him down. Andre says that’s the Anna he knows, and she’s a good dancer. He apologizes, but they agree that there’s no reason to be awkward around each other. Jordan appears, and thanks Anna for coming in. When Andre leaves, Jordan asks what she just walked in on.

Sonny says if he’s putting Carly’s rings back on, she has to do the same for him. He’s been keeping his ring in a box with his mother’s rosary, Stone’s medal, and Morgan’s watch; the things too precious for him to ever give away. Carly asks if they can promise to not focus on the bad, build on each other’s strength, and give the kids the best of them. Sonny promises. They both say they love each other with all their hearts, and for all their lives.

Ava tells Griff that it’s not the new normal, and she has no desire to make children cry like she did her own daughter. It’s best for everybody if she stays locked away.

Jason is surprised. Sam had told him she had the all clear, and said nothing about follow-up tests. Elizabeth apologizes; she didn’t know that Sam hadn’t told him. Sam says it’s convenient that her slip up caused an argument between her and Jason. While Sam mumbles about reporting Elizabeth, Jason steers her away. He says that Elizabeth’s mistake isn’t the issue, and asks why she lied.

Sonny says he’d love to celebrate, but it ain’t all good news. Ava isn’t going to be prosecuted. It’s just circumstantial and the DA thinks the jury will feel sorry for her. Carly is livid that Ava is getting away with her involvement in Morgan’s death. Sonny says they’ll have to make peace. She says if they can’t get justice from the system, they’ll have to get it themselves. Sonny says it’s over.

Griff tells Ava that appearance has nothing to do with her living a long and fulfilling life. She says, easy for him to say. He says she doesn’t have to go through it alone. He says he’s sending Felix in to get her ready.

Jordan tells Anna that she’s cool with her pursuing a relationship with Andre, but Anna says they’re just good friends. Jordan says she’s hoping things work out for somebody, since her life is way too complicated.

Felix chatters to Stella about Epiphany’s antics. Stella says if more orderlies told stories like him, she wouldn’t mind the hospital so much. He says Curtis just left, and he thinks it’s the first time since she got there. She says he and TJ are her only family. Felix remembers something, and brings in a bouquet of peonies. Stella tells him that she used to get bouquets like that from someone special.

Sam says she didn’t lie. The tests were just precaution. He asks why she cancelled, and she says something came up. He says she’s on edge and exhausted, and he wonders why she doesn’t want to find out what’s wrong. She says it’s her health, and she wanted to see how it went with rest and supplements before scheduling more tests. She says Jason has even climbed out of windows to avoid doctors, but he says they have kids now. He goes to the desk, and asks Elizabeth if she can schedule Sam. In her head, Sonny tells Sam she’d better get out of the exam.

Valentin asks Laura If she’s aware of the lawsuit. She says Spencer can never be compensated for the loss of his father, but it’s a start. He says there’s no proof that Nicholas is dead. He faked his death before, and could be doing it again. Valentin says he’ll protect what’s his by whatever means necessary.

Charlotte says Spencer is wrong. He says why she thinks her mother hates him so much – he killed her brother. Charlotte says he would never do that, and stomps off.

Ava tells Griff that she can’t do this. Here’s where the website decided I needed to sign in again. Even though I’d checked “keep me signed in.” Sigh.

Jordan tells Anna about Stella having a stroke, and it’s not the first one. She thinks the best thing she can do is stay far away. Anna asks why. Jordan says Stella hates her. She says after Thomas died, she had her first stroke, and had the second after Jordan and Curtis said they planned to stay together. Anna says maybe it’s not the reason, but Jordan says, maybe it is. She thinks she’ll be responsible if there’s another stroke that kills Stella.

Curtis wants to know about Stella’s admirer too, but Stella says it was just puppy love. Felix has to go, and says he’ll get the deets later. Curtis says he’s known her his whole life, and never thought about her life before then. She says kids never do. He says he’s not a child anymore, and asks who it was. She says it was long ago, and there’s no use dwelling on it. He says it was obviously important. She says his name was Marcus, and they went together when she was in college. He proposed, and she accepted. He asks why it never happened, and she says because of him.

Jason tells Sam that it won’t take too long. Hallucination Sonny says maybe they’ll find something wrong; maybe they’ll find out about him, and think she’s a crazy lady who sees things that aren’t there. Maybe they’ll lock her up. Jason asks if she’s okay.

Andre asks Ava for a moment of her time.

Stella tells Curtis that she dropped out of college and moved back to Baltimore. Curtis says it’s horrible; he never thought she gave up so much. He asks why Marcus didn’t come with her, but she says he had a job offer in San Francisco, so she had a choice to make. She could move to California, or be there for her family. In the end, it was no decision.

Griff is covering Dr. Bench’s patients. He says he looked at her chart, and wants to do neuroscans. He says it’s just a precaution to rule out anything serious.

Carly is surprised that Sonny wants to let it go. He says hell no, but she’s a better person than he is. She says to leave her out of it. He tells her that Avery will have to grow up knowing about Ava’s part in Morgan’s murder. Does Carly want her to find out that they had a part in Ava’s death. The only way to bear her is to not let her consume their thoughts. Carly says before she lets it go, she wants to visit Morgan’s grave.

Andre tells Ava to give him a call, and wishes her good luck finding her place in the world.

Charlotte runs to Valentin. Laura asks what happened, and she says, him, pointing to Spencer. Spencer says he just told her the truth – her father killed his father.

Ava tells Felix she’d like to make a stop first. You know where she’s going, right? I’ll bet you a million bucks it’s the cemetery.

Anna has a doctor’s appointment, and Jordan thanks her for the talk, saying it felt like old times. Anna tells her to remember that they’re friends, and asks if it helped. Jordan says she’s spent months pushing Curtis away, and not dealing with her feelings. Maybe she’s using Stella to do that again. Anna says to call Curtis and tell him how she feels. They hug and get all mushy about their friendship.

Curtis says that Stella sacrificed her future for theirs. She says she wouldn’t change a thing; it was the most rewarding experience of her life. His phone rings. It’s Jordan, and Stella tells him to take it, but he says he’s here with her now. She says she’ll try to make peace with “that woman’s” role in his life. She’ll have to learn to control her temper, but all she ever wanted was for him to be happy.

Charlotte says Spencer is lying. Spencer says he’s not. Laura wants Charlotte to go back to camp, and says they’ll deal with it later. Spencer thinks Valentin should answer the question. Valentin says it’s a complicated, grown-up matter, but Spencer says, not so complicated; he just has to tell the truth and admit what he did. Valentin tells Charlotte something in French, and she leaves. He asks Spencer if he’s proud of himself, hurting Charlotte to get to him. Laura tells Spencer to go with Charlotte, and Valentin asks Laura if this was her plan all along – to use Spencer. She says she’s not happy about it. but he’s just a kid who told the truth, and Valentin has no one to blame but himself. He calls Spencer spoiled and over-indulged, and says Spencer has hurt his daughter, and he’s not letting it happen again.

Curtis apologizes for causing Stella stress with his relationship. She says it’s the sacrifice you make for family. Jordan calls again, and she tells him to take it or she’ll just keep calling. He goes in the hallway. Jordan asks if he wants to have dinner and talk. He thinks it’s a good idea. Hmm… I’m not liking the way he said that.

At the gravesite, Carly talks to Morgan. She says they miss him every day. Sonny says they found out what happened, and know he was following his program. He’s proud of how Morgan fought his disease. He wishes he’d been there for him to protect him. Carly says they didn’t do a good job of making it right, and the pain got the best of them. Sonny says it’s over, and they’re moving forward. He wants Morgan to know he’s getting out of the business, and he’s going to make Morgan’s brothers and sisters happy. He tells Morgan that he loves him, and Carly says they miss him every minute of every day, but he’s still with them, and gives them strength. Behind them, Ava walks into the cemetery.

Sam says she’s glad to get the tests out of the way, and Griff says that he’ll call with the results. They’ll have clear picture of what’s going on. Griff turns into Sonny, and says they won’t stop until they find her weakness and lock her up. If she’s going to eliminate him, do it now.

Spencer tells Charlotte that he wasn’t trying to upset her, but she says he was. Spencer is told that play practice is beginning soon, and he says he needs time to gather his thoughts to talk to the director. He sits on a bench, rehearsing, and suddenly someone from behind puts a hood over his head.

Tomorrow, Laura attacks Valentin, Sonny tells Ava that she’s not walking away from Morgan’s death, and Julian is told that Ava has been released.

Southern Charm – Reunion Part Two

Kathryn brings up Thomas staying at Jennifer’s house. He insists he slept on the couch. He says he thought they had an agreement to protect her. If she keeps it up, she’ll never work in this town again, and it’s not going to be pretty. She says she’ll wait for him to calm down. I have no idea what this is about, but Thomas is clearly overreacting.

Andy says there was a lot of negative feedback about Kathryn’s treatment of Jennifer, and how not everything is about her. We see the clip of Jennifer telling Kathryn about Ascher having surgery. Kathryn says that Jennifer was crying about her son, and suddenly switched subjects. (Note: When watching this a second time, I can totally see how Kathryn would think she was being fake and using the moment for sympathy. She could very well be one of those people who gets hooked on the attention.) Jennifer says she would never be manipulative that way. Kathryn says she doesn’t want negativity and would like apologies from those who have wronged her. Jennifer says Kathryn owes her an apology, and she says she already apologized, and apologizes again. She says that she’d like to resolve their issues, and Andy asks Jennifer if she sees the friendship getting back on track. She uses a lot of words to say that she does. Kathryn doesn’t want to cry anymore, and suggests they move on. Exit Jennifer.

Whitney takes her place. We talk about Thomas’s parenting skills. Thomas says he’s embraced it. He spent years being selfish, and you can’t be that way when you’re a parent. He talks about buying a new home, and wanting a kid friendly place. Kathryn tears up hearing about a swing set and pool, but says she’s okay. Other viewers aren’t as generous, because it looks like the kids are being raised by nannies. Thomas’s dating life is brought up. He says the girls are either too young or too old. Andy points out that Thomas is in his 50s. Everyone wonders what mojo actually is.

Andy asks Cameran if there’s a double standard about dating someone younger, and she says when you’re thirty, if you’re a woman, you’re over the hill. Landon’s dislike of the website meeting is covered. Shep says that he was told she was acting out-of-sorts and not behaving well. Landon talks about being sexually harassed by being asked to put on a mini skirt. He says if he’s wrong, sorry, but he went on the information he had. He apologizes. Andy wonders if she sets herself up for criticism. Austen starts to answer, and Landon interrupts. Andy says there were a lot of gold-digger comments, and Cameran says it’s easy for people to misinterpret Landon. Shep says he often hopes she won’t say the things she does. Landon admits to pretentious obnoxious conversation, but says it’s just friendly banter to say things like Vale is a truck stop.

Thomas saying that Landon was marriage material is brought up. He says he wasn’t jumping to her being his wife. We flash back to that drunk woman who said they were soulmates in the restaurant. How much was she paid? Andy claims it wasn’t a plan, and Landon says the woman’s son was mortified. The Valentine’s weekend is mentioned, and Kathryn says it was just a gut feeling that Thomas and Landon hooked up. Landon says the whole thing is false, and it wasn’t even Valentine’s Day. We flash back to Cameran taking Kathryn’s side about it, and Cameran says she would have used more discretion. Andy asks if Kathryn still believes something went on. She does, but doesn’t care anymore.

We see the clip of Landon insulting Kathryn in Key West. Landon says she doesn’t really believe the things she said, and wants Kathryn to be happy and have her kids with her. We move on to Landon’s apology at the dinner. Kathryn thinks they weren’t genuine then, but are now, calling a truce. Andy asks about Landon saying that Thomas uses her as a weapon against Kathryn. Kathryn thinks that’s true to a point, since he knew it would bother her. The next clip is the breakfast in the Keys where Landon stood up for Kathryn. Landon says she lived that [with her husband], and felt sympathy. Thomas says he was attacked and he counter-attacked, but she didn’t see the original attack. I roll my eyes so far back, I can see behind me. He insists that no one knows the whole story, but he should have kept his mouth shut. Andy asks if Landon was surprised at Thomas’s reaction, and she says no; he’s sensitive. Aww! A mini discussion on Pride and Prejudice happens, and Thomas acknowledges being thin-skinned. Andy asks if Landon’s defense of Kathryn changed Kathryn’s mind, and Kathryn says she felt that Landon had the ability to be genuine, and it meant a lot. Andy asks where Thomas and Landon stand, and Thomas says they’re friends. Landon says they went to a wedding together recently as friends, and Whitney makes a hand gesture, asking if they…

How old are we?

The topic of Cameran trying to hook Shep up with Chelsea is next, and Chelsea joins the group. She was a finalist on Survivor. I never knew that, and wonder if it was a season that I saw. She says she had a harder time watching this show, especially with her family. No kidding. Cameran says she was trying to set them up for years. Chelsea says she’s known Shep longer than any of the others. She says he’s a party boy whose gotten work. A viewer asks if Cameran really has feelings for Shep, because of their chemistry, but she says he’s like a brother and she farts in front of him. Shep says he dated Chelsea’s roommate, but when he saw Chelsea, thought he got the wrong roommate.

Shep’s drinking is discussed. Chelsea says Cameran sees lunch date Shep when the rest of them see late night Shep. We see a clip of Austen stumbling over telling Shep that he and Chelsea are dating. Excuse me, hanging out. Andy asks why Cameran thought Shep was the one, but she says she didn’t realize Austen was even interested. Andy asks Chelsea what Austen has that Shep doesn’t. She says it was more endearing and felt more genuine when Austen pursued her. A viewer thinks she’s playing them against each other, but she says it’s not her intention. Andy asks if she’s being held to a double standard and Kathryn thinks she is.

The Shep almost kiss is next. We see the clip of Chelsea telling Austen about it. Shep insists he wasn’t as insistent as is being claimed. He says he’s a gentle person, but maybe impatient. He says he was uncool, but both Austen and Chelsea had sworn they weren’t serious, and Cameran thought so too. He says if he had thought something was going on, he wouldn’t have done it. Andy asks if he thought Austen and Landon had an attraction. Shep says he thought where there’s smoke, there’s fire, because they Facetime so often. Austen and Landon both insist they’ve only just been friends. Kathryn says it’s another situation where Landon doesn’t think she did anything wrong, but it’s questionable. Landon thinks it’s Kathryn’s insecurities talking, but she says that’s not the case. Chelsea thinks Landon was definitely flirting with him, and Kathryn says if that’s what she’s feeling, she’s probably right.

Andy wants to set things straight about Craig and Shep’s near fight. Shep says he wanted to know what Craig’s motives were, and thinks Craig deliberately went after him. We see the clip of Shep saying that trying to kiss Chelsea was a test, but Shep says he was just being funny. Whitney says when he tried to kiss his girlfriend, she just laughed. Kathryn wonders what Chelsea feels, and she says that Shep has a sense of entitlement. Whitney says he is who he is, and Chelsea says that because he’s Shep, he can be disrespectful. It’s agreed that Shep shouldn’t get a pass. Andy asks if people are overreacting to his aggression. Chelsea doesn’t think so, but also thinks it’s been easy for him. She’s not saying he’s a monster, but drunk Shep is different. Andy asks the women if they have anything to say. Cameran says most of the time it works for him.

We see the clip where Shep says Austen is like a brother. Shep says he’d be very upset to lose him as a friend. Austen says he was glad when everyone made it right. Andy asks if Austen and Chelsea are still together, but that’s a no. She wouldn’t say no to reconciliation though. Craig says everyone makes up at the reunions, and after one of them, a child was conceived. Chelsea leaves the group.

Andy asks about Shep missing the flight. He says he didn’t want to let go of the Key West feeling, and we see a clip of him drunk before they left. Cameran says a stranger approached her at the airport, and said her friend took a fry off of his plate. Shep says he was in dire straits. Craig asks if Shep thinks he would have been arrested if Craig hadn’t helped him. Austen was surprised he got through security at all. Shep tells him to keep his mouth shut. Andy is like, what did you just say?

Craig says, no, that’s how you get through security, by keeping your mouth shut. Andy asks Cameran if she thinks Shep admitting that he doesn’t feel anything for anyone is a cry for help. Shep insists that he’s happy. Craig reads him as searching for a purpose. Shep says the grass is always greener, but even his friends who have families have moments. Yoda Shep says that life is peaks and valleys, ups and downs, and he’s okay with that. Craig says what if he said that, and he continued to impose himself when not asked for advice. Shep says Craig is delusional while he’s introspective. Craig keeps saying that he’s killing it, and it’s not real. Craig says it is for him, and he roots for people, unlike Shep. Andy wonders about their hostility toward one another. Shep says neither one of them will ever admit they’re wrong. Craig says he gets annoyed, but doesn’t take it personally. Shep says he thinks Craig is over sensitive, and needs to be told he’s great all the time. Craig says that’s not accurate, and he’ll change “killing it” to “being really happy.” As usual. Shep talks over Craig. Craig says there’s a difference between life is perfect and being happy. He says he lets Shep be a drunk a-hole, and doesn’t get involved in his life, and Shep says, no, you. Andy says they’re both drunk a-holes. Kathryn says everyone can be a drunk a-hole, and it sounds like her and Thomas.

Moving on to Saint’s birthday party. Thomas felt that Kathryn was in a good place. Andy says there’s an intensity when Thomas looks at Kathryn. She says they’ve been through a lot, and have two children. She feels that she understands him better than he does himself in some ways. Andy talks about their exchange at Thomas’s, that he supposes led to a kiss. Craig says they still have chemistry. Thomas tries to make it like it was a kiss on the cheek. Andy asks if they’ll get back together, and Kathryn says she was expecting that question. Thomas talks about seeing her, wondering who the beautiful woman was, and realizing that it was her. After which, he booked.

Andy asks if Craig would have finished law school sooner if everyone had stayed off of his back, and he says yes. He hopes things work out with Naomie. Landon’s website is starting to make money, but she’s also renewed her real estate license, and will be working part-time for her dad. Translation: Thomas probably bought some advertising. Andy asks if Cameran will have time for her man babies once she has a real one, and she tells him she’ll do her best. Thomas says that his father says it’s a good day when he reads the newspaper from cover to cover, and Thomas isn’t in it. Andy asks Kathryn what advice she’d give to her younger self, and she says, don’t believe everything you’re told. Shep has a spin-off show coming up called Relationshep, where he goes on a search for love. I’ll bet he’s no Flava Flav though. Shep says his time is now. Andy hopes for everyone’s personal growth. Thomas makes a stupid rhyming toast, and we’re out. Why was Whitney even there?

👦 There was preview for Relationshep, where Shep tours the country, meeting women his friends have picked out. If any of them click with Shep, they’ll be invited back to Charleston.

The Real Housewives of the OC

Feng shui expert, Elaine, visits Shannon. She says Shannon doesn’t want to bring the old energy or whatever into the new house. Shannon says they’ve used Elaine for years. How’s that workin’ for ya? Shannon thinks it was getting better in the old house, but there was too much stress. She brings up Vicki making allegations that David beat her. Elaine says the relationship energy isn’t good, because there’s a toilet in her relationship area. What does that mean? Shannon says some relationships need to go down the drain.

Vicki and assistant Linda are packing up the office. Vicki says her to-do list is making her crazy. It’s the same as a house, times a hundred million. I once was moving to a new apartment at the same time my office was moving. Vicki ain’t got nothin’ on me. Vicki told Steve that he might not want to be around for a while because she could lose her mind. Linda says her office was the best according to Feng shui expert. Vicki says how stupid it was, and Linda says they had to keep buying oranges. We flash back to the whole nine lemons thing from Shannon’s first season. I guess you can use oranges too. Elaine talks about appliances being male and female, and some yin and yang stuff. In her interview, Shannon says her refrigerator has two doors, so maybe it swings both ways. BA-DUM-CHH! Sometimes Shannon can be funny.

Baby Aspen is cranking up, but Meghan gets a smile out of her. She says her life is no longer hers. She and Jim get all of the baby gear into the car. In her interview, Meghan says that motherhood is special, and lovely, and unlike anything she imagined. Then she laughs. Jim drives as Meghan blabs about the girls. She’s been trying to focus on what’s important, like getting sleep. She says she feels like she’s in the middle too much, and Jim asks what they’re having for dinner, because he’s such a good listener.

Lydia goes to a photo shoot. She and Doug have a new magazine called Nobleman about what it’s like to be today’s man. They sold their shares in Beverly Hills Lifestyle to their partner, and this one is just theirs. They take an editor’s photo. Lydia says that Doug owns 51%, so he’s technically her boss, but they know who pulls the strings. They also have pictures taken of a couple who are being featured. It’s new Housewife Peggy, and her husband Diko. Peggy has just had a preventative mastectomy because her mother died of breast cancer. Lydia isn’t sure what to say, since it’s a lot to hear when first meeting someone. She tells Peggy if she’s looking for a distraction, she should meet Lydia’s friends.

Tamra is planning a birthday party for one-year old granddaughter, Ava. It’s at a ranch that has small wildlife preserve. Tamra says that Sarah and Ryan either love or hate each other, and she’s staying out of it. They check out some beer at the bar. Tamra talks to Sarah about Shannon and Briana have been invited. Tamra says it’s becoming awkward after what she went through with Vicki. We flash back to Tamra screaming at Vicki two inches from her face. Oddly enough, Tamra didn’t want to see Vicki’s face, so she cut ties with Briana on social media without explanation, because she’s an immature moron.

Kelly and Michael are going to work out. She says last year they weren’t in a good place, but it’s better now. They’re trying to work together in a positive way. Michael drives like a reckless idiot, and Kelly says they almost got killed. They manage to get to the gym and do some “basic crawling.” In her interview, Kelly says they’re working out three times a week together, which is about all she can handle. They do all kinds of weird, but fun-looking exercises. She says she can relate to Shannon working on the relationship, and marriage is hard work.

Sophie is having her make-up done. Shannon says last year, they were on the playground, and now it’s her winter formal. She tells Sophie to cross her ankles if she sits, because her dress is so short. Shannon is putting food together for the parents. Shannon hopes cotillion has helped hone Sophie’s manners. Sophie tells her not to start crying. We see a picture of Sophie as a toddler, and Shannon insists she’s not crying. In her interview, she says it’s hard watching them grow up, but she’s proud. She feels guilty about exposing them to marital issues, but says they did okay. Whatever she’s making burns, and she has to start over. She eats a piece of bread and justifies it.

The girls come out in their dresses, and they all look gorgeous. Lots of black lace going on. David thinks Sophie should cover up. She says everyone thinks her mom is cool, but she doesn’t. Pictures are taken, and the dates arrive. Shannon has to encourage everyone to say hello. More pictures are taken, and the kids leave.

Peggy is having a family luncheon. She says she was born in Kuwait, but moved here when she was two, and she’s lived in the OC for ten years. Diko helps her prepare the lunch. She tells us they’ve been married 21 years. He lived in Beirut, doing amazingly well, but had to start over again after the war, and has built an empire from nothing. He’s a car freak, and she doesn’t even know how many they have. The guests arrive. She tells us that Armenian families are all about sticking up for each other and good food. They seem like a really cool couple. Peggy is doing well after her surgery, but says what people don’t see is what she’s gone through over the years. We see a clip of her explaining how, because of her mother’s history, the doctors decided to be aggressive. Diko presents her with a 21 karat diamond necklace that cost $85K, because he’s so grateful that God has helped her through this.

Vicki and Steve visit Briana. Briana tells Vicki she’s going to Ava’s birthday party. In her interview, Vicki says in the past, Tamra has tried to drive a wedge between them, but no one can ever do that. Briana says if there’s any problem, she’ll just leave. We see clips from last season, and Briana says it’s a weird spot for her to be in.

The bounce house is set up, and the party begins. The theme is unicorn, and the food is too cute. Unicorn lollipops and such. Like this kid is ever going to remember it. Cool! Lydia’s mom is here! We see a clip of her telling Lydia that God created marijuana and it’s like an aspirin. Tamra stresses about Briana, who says they’re mutually avoiding each other. She thinks her mom and Tamra should talk about their feelings. Good luck with that. Judy fairy dusts people. I missed her. Briana leaves because the party is getting awkward.

Shannon arrives, and Tamra asks if she’d like to get fairy dusted. David finds Eddie and the barbecue, and Shannon says they won’t see him again. Lydia meets Shannon, who says Tamra is one of her closest friends. Lydia says she knew Tamra when she was close to Vicki, but Vicki gave her an update. In her interview, Shannon wonders why Vicki is still talking about her, and thinks she’s obsessed. This is hysterically funny, coming from the person who can’t stop yapping about how Vicki made her gain weight. Lydia introduces Shannon to her mom. Judy tells Shannon that they’re energy is in tune and she has a bright light, then throws some confetti. The unicorn cake comes out, and happy birthday is sung. Tamra wishes Sydney was there, but says maybe next year.

Lydia tells Tamra about her dinner with Vicki. Tamra says her issues are her own. Shannon tells her that Vicki made horrible allegations about her husband. Lydia thinks they’re acting almost the same as Vicki, and Shannon takes offense. Lydia says that Vicki was hurt too. Shannon says she lied about her boyfriend having cancer, and was in on the lie. She’s just mad because she was called out on it. Shannon says that Vicki hurt her kids, and all the weight she’s gained is stress and Vicki. In her interview, Lydia thinks that Shannon took crazy pills. Shannon says that she’s not cruel to Vicki, but she will call her out. Okay. Tamra says that Shannon is expressive and emotional. You know where you stand, but sometimes she needs to calm down. Doug comes by, and Lydia says he’s literally Prince Charming saving her from the evil witch. Tamra wants Shannon and Lydia to get along because they both have good hearts, but this didn’t go well. Lydia tells her mother that Shannon screamed at her, which is a bit of an exaggeration. Judy says that Lydia is the friend whisperer, and calls Shannon a lost soul.

Shannon tells Tamra that she’s sorry she offended her friend, but she’s going to defend herself. Lydia is leaving, and Tamra tells her that Shannon is upset because she reminded her of Vicki. Even though Shannon is right there, stuffing her face. Lydia asks if she can’t talk to her herself, and tells Shannon that she just met her, and she’s getting screamed at. Tamra says that Shannon is just passionate, and Shannon says she didn’t raise her voice. Lydia starts to say something, but Shannon says she doesn’t know her and won’t listen. She keeps repeating that she’s not like Vicki. Lydia says she thinks it’s semantics. She says she doesn’t want to hang out if she’s going to be attacked. Shannon says talk to her mom, who said she has a bright light. Lydia says her mom also said that Shannon was also a lost soul. Shannon says she’s done.

Next time, more Peggy, Shannon works out, Kelly and Shannon see each other again, and Shannon gets out of control at a restaurant called The Quiet Woman.

🐮 Love, love, love Sweet Home Oklahoma. Tamra should look to Pumps as a great example of a Christian. This week, when replacing Jennifer’s shoes with Pumps’s Crocs proved too ambitious, Pumps TP’d her house. Jennifer consulted a pet psychic about Tubbers, and the girls went to a Pride parade. And they gave me a couple of good quotes.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

 

 

Shahs of Sunset

Reza can’t believe it’s been six years and he looks this good. I can’t believe it’s been six years period. We see a short preview of the coming season, including a trip to Israel where the gang is detained at the airport. I can think of a million different reasons why this might happen, and none of them have to do with any travel ban. Jessica also makes an appearance, but in what capacity, we don’t know.

MJ and Tommy are moving into a new condo. She unpacks a picture of her mom looking depressed, and Tommy says she’s probably criticizing the photographer. There are some renovations that need to be done, and MJ says she must have inherited mental problems from Vida, since she should have had it done before they moved in. I think she does have mental problems, but not for that reason – Vida also lives in the complex right upstairs. Seriously? Why? (I find out later that MJ owns four condos there, but still, why?)

Mike tells us that life changes. He’s been single for a year, and found himself “a dope pad in The Hills.” He says he’s made some major mistakes, and we flash back to some of them. He and Jessica are cordial now, and he just wants her to be happy. He had Reza decorate because “chicks love that sh*t.” His mother calls, and he tells her about his upcoming housewarming party. We also see his two dogs – a French bulldog and a Pitbull – who are both adorable. He wants his nosy Persian friends to see that everything is okay.

Asa meets Reza at a restaurant where he’s sitting in the incredible outdoor area. You could live there. She shows him some new gold pieces she’s gotten, and says that’s not all that’s new, revealing a large baby bump. Reza congratulates her. In her interview, she sings to the baby, and it moves. She tells Reza that Jermaine’s family is thrilled. She’s 21-weeks, and Reza can’t believe she waited so long to say something. In his interview, he explains that she’s always wearing caftans and eats a lot, so it’s a good way to keep a baby secret. He tells her that she just jacked up his life, because Adam wants kids and they’ve only been married a year. Asa hopes MJ will be happy for her, and we flash back to the reunion, where MJ was not happy with her. Asa says that historically, MJ is an envious person, and she doesn’t want the BS.

Vida visits MJ and Tommy. She immediately starts criticizing everything, her major focus being that they don’t have a coffee table out yet, and there are a million boxes everywhere. Tommy blows his stack, asking if she hears herself, since MJ’s father – her husband – is in the hospital, and they’ve been a little busy. In her interview, MJ tells us that he had a mild stroke, but is expected to recover completely. Vida rants and raves, and says all kinds of nasty things about Tommy. MJ reminds her that this is the father of her future grandchildren, but tells Tommy not to shout at Vida. Vida continues to fume about not setting foot in their condo again. Tommy apologizes, and in her interview, MJ says they both want a family, and she thinks, given time, he and Vida can get along. Good luck with that. I doubt Vida gets along with herself. MJ says it might not be easy, but it’s what they’re doing.

GG goes to a meditation class on forgiveness. She wants to find happiness, and says when you tell her something is hot, she’ll want to touch it. We flash back to some of her altercations. She says causing physical pain to Adam was a wake-up call, and she decided to check into a rehab. Holy! It should have been a wake-up call. We see the scratches she left on his neck. She’s lucky he didn’t press charges. She learned meditation, chanting, and tai chi, and is on a healthier path, not drinking and smoking as much. We’ll see how that goes. Everyone in the class starts wailing, reminding me of a stupid bioenergetics class I was once forced to take when I went to acting school. The instructor insisted that we all didn’t get enough love in our childhoods, and was determined that we should curl up in the fetal position, and “let the sound out.” And we did. Just to get her off of our backs. GG says it sounds like a horror film. She wants to forgive herself, let go, and learn self-love. She says it will take a while to transition to a happier person, so she hopes no one steps on her toes in the meantime.

Asa brings her mother to a sonogram appointment. The doctor says that the next time, she’s giving Asa a whooping cough vaccine, but wants to give her a flu shot now. Asa wants to wait for Jermaine to be there if she gets any injections. (♫ Got to be there! ♫ Sorry, had to.) She’s not keen on all of the vaccinations, and concerned about toxins. I’m double-minded about this issue. I understand why they’re given, but also see the viewpoint of mothers who are against it. Asa also wants the baby to be a vegan; she’s going to be more disciplined than her mother was. We hear the baby’s heartbeat, and Asa is thrilled. In her interview, she says that she considered buying an ultrasound machine, so she could listen all the time.

Adam and Reza play tennis. Reza is surprised to find out that Adam and his mother were local champs when he was growing up, since he didn’t think that there were tennis courts in Oklahoma. Sigh. Having grown up in Ohio, I get the same sort of nonsense, and my high school was more sophisticated than anyone else’s I know, even the ones who grew up in NYC. So there. Reza doesn’t really have the time for mid-day tennis, but he wants to compromise, since Adam is the best husband ever. Adam twists his ankle, and has to be helped to a bench. Reza continues the match with the instructor. Adam suggests they practice, teach their kids, and they’ll have tennis babies. He says Asa being pregnant makes him want a baby sooner – like now. Reza wants to buy a house and get settled first. He tells us that the tennis match wasn’t as much fun as he thought it was going to be.

Shervin and Mo are having a brobecue. It’s a barbecue with just bros, if you didn’t figure that out already. Shervin is still dating Annalise. In his interview, he says that he wasn’t looking for a relationship when he met her, but so far, so good. Mike and Reza arrive. Mike tells them about his housewarming party, and Reza says that Mike is a straight Persian man, so he can’t possibly plan it himself. He has a friend in the business, and offers her help. Mike tells Reza that he’s going to invite GG, but Reza says he can’t be around her. In his interview, he reminds us that she spread lies about him being in a sex tape while he was seeing Adam. He doesn’t even want to be in the same room. Mike says he won’t invite her, but insists that she’s changed. Reza looks for a flying pig. Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!

MJ picks Reza up, and tells him to bring a to-go libation. She says she’ll tell him where they’re going when they get there. They discuss her new place. He mentions Vida living right there, and says if he was MJ, he’d weigh 5,000 pounds, have no hair, and a nervous twitch. MJ brings Reza to a place where they bleach… um… Uranus, and Reza doesn’t want to. I don’t blame him one bit, but MJ says that they’re doing this. He asks if she’s talked to GG. MJ says she’s gotten texts, but isn’t too receptive. Reza wants to wish GG well from afar, and MJ feels the same way. She says she’s not giving GG a prize for being less than an a-hole. Speaking of which, here comes the… technician? Omg, do we really need to see this? I hope they pay this woman a lot. Reza says she’s aggressive, and starts hollering. MJ is dying laughing, and admittedly, so am I. Reza says his a-hole is perky now. MJ is next. MJ asks how often do you get to do something like this? For me, that would be never. Never is good for me.

Mike wants a great vibe for his party, for everything to be on point, and for his guests to see him happy and excited again. Reza’s party planner friend, Destiny, and her team show up to help – or as Mike puts it, give his party the gay stamp of approval. Destiny tells the girls to be flirty, but on their sh*t.

Adam is afraid that MJ is going to resent Asa’s baby bump, but Reza thinks she’ll be happy, even though after tonight, things won’t be the same. MJ goes to Reza and Adam’s place so they can arrive together to Mike’s party. Reza says that it will bring Asa and MJ closer, but also might light a fire under MJ.

The catering girls are wearing sparkly bikinis and thigh-high boots, with lampshades on their heads. Like the lampshade in A Christmas Story. Mike doesn’t want to get blamed for objectifying women. He says, not his idea, and introduces Destiny right away. MJ wants to have sex on Mike’s couch. Geez, it’s nice (mustard suede?), but it’s not that fabulous. Reza is wearing an ombre button-down shirt that I’d love to steal. MJ moves on to the bed. Shervin arrives with Annalise, and pronounces the place “dope.”

MJ says that she and Asa haven’t spoken since last year, and she has zero interest in someone who is so private about her life. We flash back to the reunion, where MJ accused Asa of not being open on the show. MJ says it’s BS, but she’s going to rise above it and be cool. She’s Fonzi. Or she could be The Countess. Asa asks if GG is coming, but Mike says no. He says that he respects Reza, but to her credit, GG looks a lot healthier. We see a clip of them at a restaurant, where Mike tells GG that he hopes she’s not doing drugs, and she tells him that she hopes he’s keeping it in his pants. Mike starts to say something about MJ holding a grudge, but before it gets heated, Asa interrupts with her good news.

Kisses all around. MJ asks if Asa wants a hug, and she does. In her interview, MJ says she never thought Asa would be the one to get pregnant first. Asa tells some story about a waterfall and knowing when she was pregnant, but I space out. MJ asks if she and Jermaine are getting married or moving in together. Asa says when the baby comes, they’ll be together, but she’s vague. MJ gets emotional, and wishes her every happiness. Asa says MJ is next. MJ says they’re working on it, but her father isn’t well, so she’s been focused on that. Asa wants some water, and I wonder if Mike has Diamond Water on hand.

MJ goes back inside. Asa says she thinks MJ is happy for the baby, but sad about her father. MJ gets a drink, and Mike asks her if she’s upset. She says no, she’s happy, but she’s always crying lately. Mike loves her for putting her life on pause for her dad, but reminds her to live for herself too. He loves her like a sister, and says when she wants to have a baby, she will. In his interview, he really thinks that she shouldn’t waste any more time if she does want a baby.

Asa talks about two psychics saying she would have two sons and then marry. MJ says FML, and continues to drink. Asa tells Adam to feel the baby, and MJ nearly knocks the bottles off the bar. Reza says this isn’t good, and says MJ needs to go home.

Reza and MJ sit outside, waiting for MJ’s car. Reza wasn’t anticipating this kind of emotion. MJ says she wants to have a baby too, but she’s not ready. Reza says Adam wants to plan their kids already, and MJ says that she wants Reza to feel a little pressure too. The car arrives, and MJ gets in.

Mike thanks Destiny and congratulates Asa. He toasts to new beginnings. And to the lampshades.

In his interview, Reza says that they’re all approaching a fork in the road. Their decisions will determine whether they’re on the right path or headed for destruction, downward spirals, and God knows what.  More than ever, they need to hold each other accountable, and every one of them needs to step up. He gets in the car with Adam, and tells him enough with the kids.

Next time: MJ goes to the zoo, GG and Reza meet, MJ downs a lot of tequila, and Asa gets questioned about marriage.

♛ It was heaven to see a new episode of Game of Thrones, especially since I’ve seen them all at least three times now. This one was mostly a set-up for the season. The beginning was a bit confusing, as suddenly, Walder Frey was alive again – toasting his family at some thank you dinner he was having. I was like, was Arya’s murder of him a dream? Is this some kind of prequel? Duh. Arya can do that mask thing now. She gave everyone poisoned wine, killing all of Walder’s family, with the exception of his child bride, left to tell the story. The North remembers. Meera got Bran to Castle Black, where they were met by Bron. Try saying that three times real fast. Bran let them know that The Night’s King is coming for all of them, and he is, as evidenced by our getting to see him and his army of White Walkers. Sam did grunt work for the maester, and snuck into a restricted area to see some secret documents. Stannis told him about an underground mountain of dragonglass being under Dragonstone, and he was able to verify it by what he read. Now he has to let Jon know, but please don’t tell me that he’s going to trust a raven with this information. I’m glad they’re exploring a different side of The Hound, who has now hooked up with Beric, and perhaps will be following the Lord of Light. The Hound is like the Luke Spencer of the show. He began as a thoughtless cretin, but was probably liked by the audience (a credit to the actor), so his character was taken in a different direction. I will never stop hoping for a Arya and The Hound spin-off. Dany arrived home to Dragonstone, along with her crew. Just when we thought it would never happen, we got thrown a bone, seeing the dragons fly to their homeland. In the desolate castle, Dany perused a battle map, and asked Tyrion if they should begin. There was plenty of other stuff – they managed to squeeze in every character – but it was all just laying the foundation for the battle to come, and giving the fans what they really want to see – zombies and dragons.

General Hospital

Valentin meets Alexis in the park, bearing a picnic basket. He says he doesn’t get an invite to meet her often, and she tells him that they have something important to discuss.

Serena arrives at Scotty’s place. They hug and say how much they missed each other. Scotty asks Lucy if she orchestrated this. She says that she and Gail thought he deserved a good surprise. Serena says she’s glad they’re together, even though it’s because of her grandfather’s death.

Amy tells Nathan that she’ll be outside on the terrace talking him through the interview, and gives him a listening device. She says she’ll be forever grateful, and so will her brother. She asks him to take off his wedding ring, but he says it goes back on the moment the interview is done. Amy says when it’s over, he’ll never have to be Man Landers again.

Laura tells Spencer that one day Valentin will be brought to justice. He says forgive him for wanting to move it along. She says violence isn’t the answer, but he tells her that he’s not thinking about violence anymore.

Sonny tells Kiki that he has full legal custody of Avery.

Ava looks in the mirror, and appears like she did before the accident. Dante walks in, and says she’s under arrest for being an accessory to Morgan’s murder. The mirror drops and shatters. It was just a dream. Dante enters her room for real.

The blogger introduces the podcast, saying that it’s Adam’s Apple, the blog for real men. Adam asks Nathan questions, and on the balcony, Amy gives Nathan the answers. The balcony must be under a cone of silence, because she’s not even trying to be quiet. When Adam asks about Nathan’s own relationships, Nathan says he doesn’t answer questions about his personal life, but Adam wants to know what his credentials are for giving advice.

Scotty asks what happened, but Serena doesn’t know. They were going fishing, and Lee was wearing his lucky hat. She shows them pictures, and says he was fascinated with selfies. Scotty says he always had the magic touch, and Lucy adds, with pretty much everything. They look at pictures of the sunset. Serena says they were all sitting together, watching, and he said it was the most beautiful sunset he’d ever seen. It got darker. He was smiling, and squeezed her hand. Then he said that he felt strange. They noticed he was looking pale. and suddenly, he was gone. The three of them weep together.

Sonny explains to Kiki that he and Ava came to a private agreement. Kiki says she’d assumed one of them was blackmailing the other. He says after Morgan died, he wanted the old custody order off the books. Kiki says she gets it. He’s Avery’s father, but her mom has lost so much. Sonny says that he told Ava everything, and she seemed to accept it. Kiki says that she’s given up.

Ava tells Dante that she has nothing to say. Dante says she’ll feel better if she confesses. She says he hasn’t got a case, and is afraid to tell Sonny, because Sonny will take the law into his own hands. She tells him that she already asked him to put her out of her misery, and he declined. He wants her to stay alive and suffer.

Spencer tells Laura that he let his emotions get the best of him, but came to his senses. There’s no time for childish tantrums. She asks if he’s planning a move against his uncle.

Valentin tells Alexis that the charges were dropped, and his record is actually cleaner than hers. Ha-ha! He’s right. She tells him that he’s being sued. Alexis wants compensation for the death of Nicholas. Valentin says it wasn’t proven, but she says that doesn’t matter in a civil suit, and brings up OJ Simpson. He says they had forensic evidence in that case. She tells him that she’s representing Spencer.

Spencer tells Laura that a lawsuit was the solution. Laura says it will take a long time. She gets a call, and tells Spencer that she’s gotten bad news about an old friend. Spencer tells her that he’s sorry. Laura says that she has to hand him over to Chandler, who has explicit instructions for no detours. She tells Spencer no funny stuff; he wouldn’t want to get Chandler fired. He tells her that he’ll concentrate on learning his lines.

Serena gives Scotty something from Lee – a box of fishing lures. Scotty says that when Lee would disappear into the garage to make them, he knew they were going fishing. He tells them about a big fish pulling him into the lake when he was a kid, and how Lee jumped in to rescue him, but when Lee needed him, he wasn’t there.

Sonny says that he’s sorry for what Kiki is going through; she’s not responsible for what happened. She and Morgan loved each other, but no one can predict how things will end. She made Morgan happy, and Sonny doesn’t blame her for her mother’s actions. Kiki says she feels badly for her mom, but knows Avery is better off with him and Carly. Sonny says she can see Avery any time she wants. Kiki decides to go see her now.

Dante tells Sonny that he has bad news. Wow. Bad news all over the place today. He says that the evidence against Ava is all circumstantial. Sonny asks about the lithium. Dante checked with dealers, but there’s no market for it, since it’s not a drug that gets you high. Sonny thinks they might be protecting someone.

Serena says that Lee wasn’t scared of death, only growing weak and feeble, and his loved ones not knowing how much he loved them. Scotty says that when his marriage to Laura fell apart, Lee wanted him to come there and work for him. He told Scotty that he needed to move on, but Scotty refused. It took him a long time to move on. Right on cue, Laura is at the door.

Adam tells Nathan that if readers are going to take advice, they should know why he’s qualified to give it. Nathan says that he listens well, and a close female friend helps; she should really be the one giving advice. Adam reads him questions. The first one is about a couple who work far away from one another, and sounds like it’s about Nathan and Maxie’s situation.

Valentin tells Alexis that she’s the one who validated the will. She should explain things to Spencer, rather than exploiting him for financial gain. He asks if she’s really going to parade a fatherless boy in front of a jury. She doesn’t have to traumatize him with a lawsuit he can’t win.

Spencer visits Ava. He says he’s been where she is. He suffered in agony, and hated lying in a hospital bed, thinking his appearance had changed. She guesses his burns weren’t as severe as hers. He says he was just as scared, and wanted her to know his heart is with her, as was his father’s. She says that she and Nicholas weren’t close enough to talk about what was in their hearts, but he reminds her of his father.

Sonny suggests checking with pharmacists, but Dante says he did, and there was nothing missing in that timeframe. Sonny says that Ava confessed, but Dante tells him that it was only to him and Carly. He’s already tried to get the DA to file charges, but there isn’t enough evidence. They’re dropping the case.

Laura tells Scotty that she’s sorry. She says Serena is gorgeous, and it’s been a long time. Laura thanks Lucy for texting her. Lucy wanted to honor Lee’s wishes; he had a soft spot for her. Laura says she’s lucky. Scotty says he was too, but never told Lee he loved him. Laura says that Lee knew, and Scotty wonders how she can say that.

Nathan fumbles a little, and Amy tells him that it’s not about Maxie. Nathan asks the reader to think about why they fell in love in the first place, and that his partner’s ideas and knowing her place in the world are special. Give it time, and while she’s away, find ways to keep the spark alive. Respecting each other’s work, and going the distance for each other is what’s important.

Alexis tells Valentin that there was an eyewitness. Valentin says, who? Ava? She saw the gun go off, and Nicholas fall out of the window, but can’t even verify he’s dead. Alexis says she signed an affidavit, and will be a compelling witness – so will Spencer. If the verdict is big enough, Valentin might even have to sell the estate that he inherited to pay for it.

Spencer says that Ava was the last person to see his father, and being with her makes Spencer feel closer to him. He says he’s filing a civil suit, but needs her help. She can tell his father’s story, because his father can’t. Ava says one thing she can swear to is that his father was kind, brave, and was killed defending her; he died a hero.

Sonny can’t believe it. Dante says he hates it as much as Sonny does, but the worst they can do is go to court without evidence. If Ava gets acquitted, they won’t be able to bring it back to court again because of double jeopardy. In the meantime, Ava has to live with herself. Sonny says that’s not enough. Dante says he wants justice as much as Sonny does, but they have to let it go.

Amy excitedly answers the next question, but Nathan answers differently. Amy watches as he’s able to handle the interview fine without her answers. She smiles at him through the window.

Scotty asks how Laura can say that Lee knew he loved him. She says he didn’t have to say it; he showed Lee. He did the things they all hope that their kids will do with them, like confiding in him. Serena says knowing that Scotty is there for her means a lot. Laura says that’s how it was with Lee. Scotty says he hadn’t called in weeks, but Laura says that doesn’t mean he wasn’t thinking of Lee. He says he knows Lee is always with him. Laura says she’s leaving, but Scotty should listen to his daughter.

Ava tells Spencer that she and Nicholas were good together, evenly matched. There was a spark, and if they’d had a chance to pursue it, her life might have gone differently. She’s happy that he’s taking action, and his father would be proud. Spencer thanks Ava for giving his father joy in his last days, and making him feel better. He hopes she finds peace, and she hopes the same for him. He hugs her and tears run down her face.

Valentin wants to avoid the drama of a public spectacle, but if Alexis forces him to trial, he’ll bury her, and tear Nicholas apart. Spencer will hear the illusion torn away, and how his father used him. He says that she just got her license back. Is she sure she wants to start practicing law again by exploiting a small child? She thinks the jury will see it her way, but Valentin says that she doesn’t know anything. She says knows that Spencer will win. He wants justice for his father, but suing Valentin is better than nothing.

Sonny tells Dante that Ava is free to live her life, and Morgan is dead. Dante says it’s not much of a life, but Sonny says it’s more than she deserves, unless he stops her. Dante wonders what he means by that, and Sonny tells him that he promised Carly he’d change. Dante asks how, but Sonny says the less he knows, the better. He’s getting out of certain aspects of the business.

Kiki brings Ava a special surprise, guaranteed to lift her spirits. It’s Avery. She brings Avery over to the bed, but Avery turns away.

Nathan tells Amy that it wasn’t all that bad, especially now that it’s over. She says that he never has to be Man Landers again. She wanders off, and Adam comes out of the elevator. He tells Nathan that the podcast was so well received, that Man Landers will be a regular on the series, and congratulates him.

Scotty toasts to the most ethical, supportive father that anyone could have. He, Lucy, and Serena hug.

Dante asks if Sonny means it. Sonny says that he thought he did; Carly wants it, and he does too. Dante tells him not to let Ava pull him off the path.

Kiki takes Avery back out of the room, and Ava says she scared Avery. Kiki says that Avery didn’t understand. Ava appreciates what Kiki is trying to do, but says that she knows Avery is terrified. Kiki tells Ava that she just has to get used to it, but Ava says she doesn’t want to see Avery again. She tells Kiki that she’s tired, and would like to be alone. Kiki wants to stay, but Ava tells her to go be with her sister, and Kiki reluctantly leaves.

Clutching a handful of popsicles, Spencer finds Laura in the park. Alexis joins them, and he gives one to her and one to Laura. He asks if Alexis delivered the devastating blow. She says she did, but Valentin is a cool customer. They toast to their victory with the popsicles.

On the phone, Valentin says he wants the lawsuit gone before he ends up dealing with Spencer himself.

This episode was in memory of Peter Hansen (Lee Baldwin).

On Monday, Spencer tells Charlotte that Valentin killed his father, Laura says she’ll protect what’s hers, and Jason wants to know why Sam lied to him.

🌟 Haven’t caught up with The f Word yet. but waiting with bated breath for the new seasons of Game of Thrones and Shahs of Sunset to start on Sunday night. Bravo is running a Shahs marathon as we speak, and HBO will be showing GoT‘s season 6 prior to the premiere of season seven. My head might explode.

General Hospital

Lucy bangs on Scotty’s door. She says it’s important and can’t wait.

Felicia invites Nathan to poker night, and invites him for other nights. He wonders why she’s booking up all his free time. She says they don’t want him to get lonely with Maxie away.

At the hospital, Amy is perusing some Man Landers questions. Bobbie asks her for a favor. Amy asks Bobbie a personal marital question, but Bobbie says they’re not there yet. She tells Amy to let Monica know that she’s taking an early lunch. Bobbie sees Carly, and tells her that she’s meeting with Felicia. Carly says Michael can’t find out; he’ll think they’re on a witch hunt. Bobbie says they are, since Nelle is a witch, but they’ll be careful.

Outside of Crimson, Michael tells Nelle he missed her, and they kiss.

Sonny tells Oscar that any problem he’s got, Sonny can fix. Oscar starts to record the exchange on his phone, and tells Sonny to get out before it goes viral. Josslyn tells Oscar that he’s her stepfather. Oscar starts to apologize, but Sonny interrupts. He says what Oscar did was exactly the right thing to do.

Bobbie tells Carly to play nice with Nelle. If she can’t, she’ll blow everything. She says the hardest part will be seeing her with Michael, and when they attack, he’ll want to protect her. She tells Carly to stay pleasant and calm, but not too sweet. Carly says she can outplay Nelle easy.

Nelle tells Michael that he likes to live dangerously, since this is Carly’s turf. He says he thinks his mother knows they’re doing more than holding hands.

Nathan tells Felicia that he has been lonely, but the job is a great opportunity for Maxie, and she’s able to see Georgie. Felicia says he’s an enlightened guy, but that doesn’t keep you company. She says Maxie is concerned, and Nathan wishes Maxie would tell him what’s really on her mind. Felicia says Maxie thinks he’s keeping something from her. He gets a text from Amy.

Scotty says Lucy’s emergencies always translate into grief for him. He’s lucky to be alive, and keeps looking over his shoulder since she blabbed about his involvement with Morgan’s pills. He asks her to leave, saying that he’s billing Julian by the hour, and expects it to be his early retirement. Lucy starts to cry, and says it’s about his father. She says she’s sorry, but he’s gone. He says that can’t be true; he just talked to him, and he’s healthy as a horse. He wants to know why Lucy was called, and she says Serena called her but didn’t want Scotty finding out over the phone. He wants to call Serena, but Lucy says that she’s focused on Gail right now. Lucy tells Scotty that he went peacefully, so there’s some comfort in that. He says it’s out of the blue, and calls Lee a bulldog. Lucy says that’s what makes it hard to accept. Having very recently had a friend pass away suddenly in their sleep, this is getting to me.

Oscar says he was in the wrong, but Sonny says he didn’t know. He likes that Josslyn has a friend who takes action on her behalf, and as far as Oscar knew, he was a stranger trying to get Josslyn alone. He tells Josslyn that he has good news. Her dad’s immigration issues are resolved, and he can come back to the US any time he wants.

Felicia tells Nathan that Maxie has an active imagination, but also good instincts. He says she has no cause for concern. Bobbie arrives to meet with Felicia. Nathan gets another text from Amy asking if he can meet her, and says that he has to go. Bobbie asks if everything is okay, and Felicia says that remains to be seen. Bobbie says Nelle has her hooks in Michael, but not on her watch, and it’s time to take her down. She asks if Felicia is with her, but Felicia says no.

Michael and Nelle run into Carly. She asks what he’s doing there, and he says taking Nelle to lunch. Would she care to join them?

Nathan tells Amy to make it quick. She reads him a Man Landers question, and asks how his sex life is. He says his wife is across the country; what does she think? She hands him the proofs from the photo shoot. He says this was the emergency? He has his own life, and the more they’re seen in public, the greater the chance they’ll be figured out. After this, they’re done with him being the face of Man Landers. She says she needs one more teensy thing – for him to be the face one more time.

Sonny wanted Josslyn to be the first to know. He found out from a friend who works for the government. She asks if it’s the same guy who had her father deported. She’s glad, but wishes it hadn’t happened in the first place. Sonny apologizes again, and says he cares about her and always will. He’ll always have her back. That’s one thing he and Oscar have in common.

Carly asks Michael if it’s a real invitation, but says she’s late for an appointment, so she can’t. Nelle says maybe another time, and Carly says maybe. When she’s gone, Nelle tels Michael that was interesting. She doesn’t know who’s more shocking, Michael or Carly. He says he thought it might do some good. Nelle wonders what would have happened if she’d said yes, and Michael tells her it would have been the shortest lunch on record in a place that has no knives. He says that Carly didn’t take her head off, so that’s progress.

Felicia tells Bobbie that she’s not defending Nelle, but she thinks it’s a mistake. She doesn’t want them alienating Michael, and thinks they’ll just push him away. She suggests they let him live his own life. God forbid.

Scotty calls Serena, but it goes to voicemail. He asks her to call when she gets the message. He says they love her, and maybe it was good that she was there. Lucy says she’s sure Serena must be helping Gail with the details. He tells Lucy that she can go, but she says she took the day off. He pours some liquor, and suggests she go to the spa; he can take care of himself. She asks, by downing a drink? and he says that he’s just getting started. Lucy says Lee had problems with alcohol, and is that a way to honor him? Scotty says he was a disappointment to his father in life, so why not in his death?

Nathan tells Amy that he’s out. He has a career he enjoys, and this wouldn’t help if he’s found out. Amy says her brother was on a wait list for surgery, and the approval just came through. It means she’ll have to take a leave from GH. He doesn’t see what it has to do with him. She tells him that she doesn’t have vacation days, so she’ll have to take a leave of absence. In lieu of her salary, she’s arranged for a gig. Man Landers is giving an interview.

After Sonny leaves, Josslyn asks Oscar not to tell anyone about what happened. Oscar says he won’t, and it’s his fault anyway. He says he’s kind of glad he got to meet Sonny; he’s cool. Josslyn says Sonny did have the good sense to compliment Oscar on his improvised defense tactic, but he can’t do it again. She can’t have him sticking up for her, even if he does it well.

At the MetroCourt, Sonny meets Carly, who tells him about seeing Michael. She says she didn’t scream or yell, and kept her cool when Michael invited her to lunch with them. She can’t stand the position that Nelle is putting him in; she’s driving wedge between them. Sonny asks if she’s making progress or is she playing Nelle? She says Nelle played them, and she’s just trying to put her family back together in bad circumstances.

Bobbie tells Felicia that it’s hard to watch and do nothing. They see Nelle and Michael walk into the restaurant. Felicia tells Bobbie to weigh the risks, and if Bobbie still feels the same way, she’ll do it. Bobbie doesn’t want her to be uncomfortable, but Felicia says she’d be more uncomfortable if it was taken to another P.I., and to let her know.

Lucy tells Scotty that Lee wasn’t disappointed in him. Scotty wants to be alone, but Lucy won’t leave. She knows she wasn’t Lee’s favorite of Scotty’s many exes, but she managed to do something wonderful bringing Serena into the world, and then she and Lee were in each other’s orbits. She says he loved Scotty very much. Scotty says he did, but he failed Lee every step of the way. He says Lee was a great guy, and he took advantage and took him for granted.

Nathan tells Amy to forget it. Amy begs for just one interview. She can shepherd him though it. He says he agreed to the other one, but this is as far as he goes. Amy tells him that she needs all the money she can get; she and Chet still have to survive after the surgery. He asks what about the next time, and the time after that? As her audience grows, so will interview opportunities. She can’t hide behind him forever, and maybe now is the time to reveal herself. She says she’s sorry she dragged him into it, and she’ll figure something out. He tells her to wait, and asks how it’s going to work. She hugs him.

Sonny tells Carly that he was able to give Josslyn some good news. He pulled some strings, and got Jax’s deportation order rescinded. He thinks she was glad, but it’s going to take a while to make it right. Carly appreciates that he’s trying, and says that Josslyn will get there eventually. He asks if she knows anything about Oscar.

Josslyn tells Oscar that he got lucky, but don’t push it. Oscar says he and Sonny are good. She says that Morgan was the only one who could bust on Sonny and not get challenged. Oscar wishes he could have met Morgan. Josslyn says that Morgan would have liked him. He liked anyone she did, but he was spontaneous. He leaped before looking, like Oscar did when he stood up to Sonny, and when he asked her to meet him on the footbridge. She says that doing something just for fun or because it’s a cool idea is very Morgan, but he has to promise not to challenge Sonny next time. Oscar says that’s fine, as long as she promises there is a next time.

Nelle asks Michael if Bobbie is still watching, and Michael says they’re still the center of attention. Nelle wants to leave, but he says the sooner everyone accepts reality, the better off they’ll be. When Nelle goes to the bathroom, Michael approaches Bobbie. She says that she didn’t want to interrupt, but she doesn’t want to pretend she approves or it’s not breaking Carly’s heart. Michael says they have a right to their feelings, but it’s his life, and he has to be true to himself. Bobbie says funny that he’s using the word true. She thinks Nelle is using his graciousness against him, and isn’t sure it’s not part of her master plan. He tells her that both she and Carly have made their share of mistakes, and were given more chances. Why shouldn’t he do that for Nelle?

Scotty tells Lucy that Lee never forgave him for goofing things up with Laura. Lucy says they were just kids. He says that Lee was thrilled. He was going to be a success story, then everything went downhill. We flash back to when Scotty was practically a child and arguing with Lee.  Lucy takes the glass from his hand, telling him that’s enough. He’s allowed to feel sorry for himself, but not to rewrite history. He made mistakes and disappointed Lee sometimes, but it was a long time ago, and not who he is now. She says when Scotty met Dominique, it was magic, and together, they brought Serena into the world. Lee saw him as a new man. He had tears of joy, pride, and love when he saw Serena, and for the man Scotty had become. His father forgave him.

Josslyn talks to Oscar about Jax. She’s glad she didn’t have to visit him in Abu Dhabi, and says she’d either be inside all of the time, or die from a heat stroke. She thinks things here are better. They part company, and Oscar smiles.

Carly says that Oscar was the boy drinking with Josslyn. Sonny says he thought Oscar was cool, but Carly gets unreasonable as usual, acting like Oscar led Josslyn astray, when they were just sitting there talking quietly and barely drinking. Sonny says he’ll support her no matter what. She says that she has to intervene, and she will. Carly spends so much time spinning her wheels over protecting her family from imaginary situations, it’s a wonder she gets anything else done.

Nelle tells Michael that she heard what he said to Bobbie, and asks if he’s ready for this. He says that he’ll respect his family’s wishes, but can’t live his life to please them. She asks what if he’s wrong about her, and he asks if he is. She tells him no.

Bobbie tells Felicia that she thought it over and wants to move forward. Felicia tells her to have Carly call HR. She wants to see Nelle’s employment records. She thinks the real dirt is where Nelle started – in Florida.

Amy tells Nathan that the interview is a podcast, and that she has a plan.

Lucy gives Scotty some coffee. He says he only had two drinks, but she says he’ll take it and like it. He tells her to go, but she promised Serena that she would stay with him. There’s a knock at the door. Scotty says to tell them he’s not there, and goes into another room. It’s Serena. She and Lucy hug and cry. Lucy calls to Scotty, saying when he sees who’s here, he might change his mind. He comes back, and sees Serena.

Tomorrow, Alexis talks to Valentin, Kiki brings Ava a surprise, and Dante has bad news for Sonny.

🐘 Not much else going on TVwise tonight, but I’m glad to see that Zoo is back. It’s worth watching for the special effects alone, but the story is intriguing, the acting top notch, and there are a couple of scruffily cute guys on it. Oddly enough, I’m not a huge James Patterson fan (and they should never, ever let him read from his own books), but this story is completely different from anything I’ve read of his. It seems more like something Michael Crichton would come up with. In a nutshell, animals everywhere are organizing and attacking humans. A zoologist, a safari guide, a newspaper reporter, a veterinary pathologist, and a French intelligence agent join forces to find out why. While the animals are the real stars, the supporting cast ain’t bad either.

What I Watched Today

General Hospital

At the hospital, Bobbie asks Carly how the wedding was. Carly says it was amazing, and the happy couple is… happy. Bobbie says, a good time was had by all, but Carly tells her not all. Michael brought Nelle as his date.

Nelle tells Nina she has a visitor in her office. Nina assumes it’s Valentin, but it’s Julian. He says he has news for her; the party is over.

Valentin is right behind him though, and walks into the reception area. Nelle thought he was out of the country. He says he’s back, and asks if Nina is in.

Laura tells Doc that she wishes Spencer would take interest in more activities, but right now he’s just interested in the play.

Spencer practices Hamlet in the park. Josslyn sees him, and says it’s a depressing play. At a certain point, she stopped feeling sorry for Hamlet, because he was always feeling sorry for himself. Spencer says there’s no nobler mission than to avenge a father’s death.

Jason and Sonny talk about the wedding. Sonny wants to discuss business. He has something that he thinks will benefit both of them. In her head, Sonny tells Sam that they’re doing business like old times.

Laura asks Doc if she’s doing the right thing. He says that Spencer needs structure and to be with kids his own age. She’s concerned that she can’t distract him from his vendetta, but Doc thinks it’s just a way to keep his father in his life. He thinks they should give him as many opportunities to talk about Nicholas as possible, and maybe they can find better/healthier ways for him to connect to his father.

Josslyn says that Spencer would make a great Rum Tum Tugger (from Cats – which would be even more ambitious than Hamlet for a children’s camp), but he says that he’s better in darker roles; it’s complex, demanding, and takes total focus. She suggests he take a break and do some other activities, but Spencer says that he doesn’t have time for making lanyards and roasting marshmallows.

Carly tells Bobbie about Sonny apologizing to Josslyn, and her not having it. Bobbie says it’s understandable. Carly shouldn’t tolerate disrespect, but Josslyn is allowed her feelings. Carly says that Bobbie is no fan of Sonny’s either. Bobbie tells her that she doesn’t doubt Carly’s love for him, but something always gets in the way.

Mirage Sonny tells Sam that the closer Jason is to him, the farther he is from her and the kids, and the closer he is to death. Jason asks if she’s okay, and she makes something up. She says she has to be somewhere, and asks him to watch the kids.

Nina asks Julian what he’s doing in her office. He says checking on his holdings. He tells her that Crimson is doing well under her leadership. She thanks him, and says not so much the rest of his subsidiaries. He’d better get on it before there’s a hostile takeover.

Nelle tells Valentin that Nina is in a meeting, and he says he’ll wait. He asks about her health and if she’d like to come back as Charlotte’s nanny. She says she just started at Crimson, and he says that as long as she’s working for Nina, she’ll still be in Charlotte’s life. Julian leaves, and Nina sees Valentin.

Doc tells Laura that he’s more worried about her than Spencer. He sees her being strong and meeting Spencer’s needs, but he’s not sure that she’s taking care of her own. He thinks she’s afraid that if she eases up, the loss will overcome her. Laura says she supposes there are consequences for dating a psychiatrist, but Doc says he’s speaking as a partner who loves her. She says they’re coming to the one year anniversary of Nicholas’s death. He asks if it helps that Valentin is gone. Julian pops in out of nowhere, and says Valentin is in Port Charles; he just saw him.

Oscar joins Josslyn, and she introduces him to Spencer. Oscar says it must have been cool to go to a school overseas, but Spencer says he prefers being closer to home; better to reclaim what’s his.

Valentin asks if Nina will see him, and she says let’s get it over with. She asks what he wants, and he says he spent a lot of time imagining her face and smile, and wanted to see her in person. She tells him that she doesn’t have time for this, but he says that he wants to buy an ad for his new non-profit. It offers a safe haven for racehorses that would otherwise be destroyed. He’s named the rescue after her.

Sonny tells Jason that he’s sure Sam is dealing with him getting shot. Jason says she was never like that before, but Sonny says things change. He asks if Jason would like to partner with him in a completely legit business venture.

Carly tells Bobbie that she wants to focus on Michael and why he’s with Nelle. He has good judgement, but feels compassionate toward her, and gave her opening she needed. She says she asked Nelle if it was about revenge. Bobbie asks if Carly caused a scene. Carly says no, but she didn’t do herself any favors; Michael told her to butt out. Bobbie asks if she’s going to listen to him, and Carly says hell no. Nelle is a train wreck waiting to happen, and will end up hurting Michael if she doesn’t do something about it.

Julian explains to Doc and Laura about seeing Valentin at Nina’s office. Doc wonders how it’s possible. Laura says she has to call Lulu.

Valentin tells Nina about how he bought a farm for the horses, and will have children and veterans help rehabilitate them. Covering all the bases, I see. She says it’s beautiful, but transparent; he’s trying to lure her back. He says not lure, but he is trying to get on her good side. She says it doesn’t cancel out what he’s done, and the people he’s hurt, like Spencer. She tells him it’s not about the inheritance, but that he killed Spencer’s father. Valentin says that Nicholas faked his own death, and the rest is open to interpretation.

Spencer tells Oscar that his sinister uncle stole his inheritance, but a peasant like him wouldn’t understand. Josslyn is like, hey! and says she thought he stopped calling people peasants. She tells him that Oscar is a good guy. Oscar wants to get snacks, but Spencer wants to continue practicing for the play. Oscar misunderstands, saying oh, that’s what he was talking about, and that it sounded like he was saying it actually happened. Spencer says it did, and that’s why he’s qualified to play the Dane prince. His real uncle murdered his real father, and stole his inheritance. Josslyn says maybe that’s not the way to go, since Hamlet ended up destroying himself. Spencer says he’s smarter than that.

Carly tells Bobbie that ideally, Nelle will be serving time, and Michael will realize who she really is. Bobbie says Michael has his own life, but Carly says he’s the only son she has left. Bobbie tells her she’s going to lose him.

Sonny tells Jason about a property that he scored when the developer ran out of money. He wants to create a mixed retail and office space. He says it’s a big job, and he needs a partner.

Sam flies into the MetroCourt. Julian is at the bar, and she tells him that she has to talk to him. He thought that she was never speaking to him again, but she says that depends on how the conversation goes. She tells him that Sonny says he’s going legit. Julian says that’s never going to happen, but all she cares about is keeping Jason out of it. If Julian wants a relationship with her and the kids, he’d better care too. Julian thinks he missed something, since Jason has been out of the business for a while. Sam says that Jason dropped everything to warn Sonny about Marvy Garvy. Julian says that doesn’t mean he’s thinking about going back, but Sam says that Jason has loyalty toward Sonny, and she’ll do anything to prevent him getting involved. She asks what he would do. He says if she’s looking for a guarantee, there’s only one option – get rid of Sonny.

Jason tells Sonny that it’s not for him. Sonny says it’s a legit opportunity, and he doesn’t need money, just participation. Jason tells him that there are a lot of great people out there. Sonny says it’s above board, vanilla and mainstream as it comes, but Jason says that people will think it’s a front, and that he’s taking over. He can’t risk it.

Bobbie says she knows that Carly wants to protect Michael, but he made the decision to forgive Nelle. She doesn’t want to back him into a corner. If she does things her way, she could lose him for good, but if she doesn’t, Nelle will take him away. Carly says either way she loses, and Bobbie asks if she honestly didn’t think she wouldn’t come up with a third option.

Nina tells Nelle to warn her next time Julian comes around. She says he’s a liar and a criminal, and tried to undermine the magazine; she can’t trust him. She was going to say she couldn’t trust Valentin either, but there hasn’t been an ounce of proof that he’s committed any crime or broken any law. Nelle asks if she’s happy that he’s back, and Nina says no, they’re divorced. It doesn’t matter; it’s over. Nelle just nods and goes, uh-huh, like she doesn’t believe it. Me neither.

Laura tells Doc that Lulu had a run in with Valentin last night. She asks Doc to come with her to the camp. She wants to get Spencer home before Valentin can get near him.

Spencer continues to practice in the park. Valentin steps out, and applauds. He says that he absolutely believes Spencer could kill a man. He tells Spencer that he wants to talk; things between them are unresolved and they are family. He says he brought a peace offering, and shows Spencer a ring that Mikkos gave to all of his sons to bring them good luck. He wants to pass it on to Spencer. Spencer says that Valentin killed his father. If he thinks that a ring will make them even, he couldn’t be more wrong – dead wrong.

Julian tells Sam that it’s not easy to walk away from the business; it’s almost impossible. Sonny knows too much, and he’d have to turn the territory over to someone he trusts. Sam says that would be Jason, and she’ll lose the family peace that she’s cultivated. Hallucination Sonny tells her that there’s only one way, and too bad she doesn’t have the guts to do it. She says that she has to finish what she started, and tells Julian not to tell anyone about their conversation, not even her mother. He asks if she’s okay, and she says obviously not, since she came to him for help. Outside, she calls someone and asks if they’re still in business. She’d like to make a purchase. Too bad she missed Amazon Prime day.

Jason tells Sonny that it’s not personal. Sonny says he can’t argue it, and Jason says he has faith that Sonny will get out. He asks if they’re cool, and Sonny says they are. He’s going to talk to Michael about a joint venture. He tells Jason to hang on to the papers, so he can give Michael an honest second opinion. Jason thinks he can make it work. Sonny gets a call and has to go.

On the phone in the hallway, Sonny asks Diane to tell him something good. He says, okay, he’ll tell her the good news right away.

Oscar tells Josslyn that Spencer is interesting. She says they’re kind of related. She knows he can be a lot, but there’s a reason. His mom died when he was a baby, so he was close with his dad who was killed last summer. He was supposedly murdered, but no one knows what really happened. The guy was never charged because there wasn’t enough evidence. Oscar says she has a dramatic family, and Josslyn says tell her about it.

Carly says Bobbie just gave her a lecture on sucking it up. Bobbie says that’s not what she said; she told Carly that her plan would backfire and drive Michael away, but it’s not the only way. They need to gather facts about Nelle and arrange for Michael to find out. Carly says he already knows she has a shady past, but Bobbie asks if she thinks it ends there. One secret leads to one hundred secrets.

Carly likes the plan, but says it only works if Nelle has skeletons and if they can find them. Bobbie says it will only work if she keeps her distance. Bobbie calls Felicia, and asks her to find out the rest of Nelle’s story.

Nina tells Nelle that she’s glad Valentin is back for Charlotte’s sake, and the horses at Windemere. And the racehorses at the non-profit he’s put in her name. Nelle is impressed, but Nina says it’s just a gesture and doesn’t change anything. Nelle doesn’t want to overstep, but points out that obviously Nina still loves him. Nina says love isn’t enough, and Nelle asks what it would take. She says to see the future, and know that the future is more important to him than the demons of the past.

Valentin tells Spencer that maybe there’s something he could do to even the scales. He holds out the ring, but Laura and Doc show up. Laura tells him to stay away from her grandson. Spencer tells him to keep the ring; he’ll make his own luck. Valentin can see if the ring helps him when it’s buried with him.

Sam comes home. She asks Jason about the papers, and he explains about Sonny’s project. She says if Jason isn’t going to be involved, why leave the paperwork? Imaginary Sonny says that’s a good question. Jason tells her that Sonny wants Jason to look them over for Michael. She asks what if it’s an excuse, and Sonny thinks he’ll change his mind? Jason promises he’s not going back. Scout cries, and Jason goes upstairs. Not Real Sonny asks if she believes it. Sam says it doesn’t matter; she’s going to make sure it’s not an option, and points a gun at him.

Josslyn tells Oscar that her dad might be away, but he’s alive and well, and her mom is with her. It was selfish and shallow to complain. Oscar says when they start complaining, they should have a special code word they can say to put a lid on it. Josslyn asks if they’re never supposed to complain, but he says there should be a limit. He says the word should be something meaningful to both of them. I swear they say, “bird’s nest,” but that can’t be right. Could it?

At the park, Sonny shows up and asks to talk to Josslyn. She says she has to get back to work; her break is over. He promises that it’s good news, but she’s not interested. Oscar steps in and says she doesn’t want to talk. Sonny says he seems like a good kid, but it doesn’t involve him. Oscar says to leave her alone or he’ll have a problem.

Tomorrow, Carly says she’ll outplay Nelle, Felicia tells Nathan that Maxie thinks he’s keeping something from her, and Lucy visits Scotty with something that can’t wait.

The Real Housewives of NYC

Bethenny goes over the Mexico trip with her director, Joanne. She’ll feel personally responsible if everything isn’t perfect. Omg, more tequila. It’s like tequila week. Bethenny wants to see how the sausage gets made, so they’re going to the distillery, and having a tasting. She says she hasn’t invited Ramona, but since she’ll show up anyway, Bethenny is trying to make sure she arrives later.

Luann and Ramona meet for coffee. Luann asks if Ramona is coming. Ramona says she didn’t get an official invite, but thinks she will.

Carole visits Bethenny at her office. She says she went to court with Adam to get his security deposit back from his last apartment. She was channeling her political angst in another direction, but the landlord never showed up, so Adam won by default. In her interview, Bethenny says Carole is the one person who would want to do jury duty. Not if she lived in Queens. Carole tells Bethenny about getting a text from Ramona. Bethenny says she did too, saying that Ramona is sorry for what she’s going through.

Ramona tells Luann about the text, and remarks on how terrible suckerfish Jason Hoppy is. She says that she was wrong in what she said to Bethenny in Vermont, and Luann says to blame it on the booze. In her interview, Ramona says she has to reach out in a non-confrontational way, or she’ll lose the friendship, and she doesn’t want that to happen. Ramona wonders if Bethenny will exclude her. My Lord, for someone who fears being excluded so much, Ramona certainly acts like a monumental idiot.

Carole tells Bethenny that Ramona is hard to break up with. Ha-ha! Bethenny tells her about the trip schedule, and how she doesn’t want Ramona to ruin the day that she celebrates her business. Ramona won’t be coming when they go to the distillery. Bethenny doesn’t trust her.

Sonja goes to a hair removal salon. She says everyone is hairless except her, and she wants to deal with it before Mexico. I’m not repeating everything else she says. TMI. Way too much. She talks about missing Edgar (Frenchie). Then we get TMI about the men who come into the salon.

Dorinda is throwing a pre-Mexico, post-Vermont dinner at a steakhouse. Carole says she has the perfect guy for Tinsley, and they have a date on Saturday. Dorinda thinks that Tinsley should cut her hair. In her interview, she says long hair on an older woman can make her the Lyceum from the back, and a museum from the front. Tinsley is excited about the upcoming date, and they all look at his picture on Carole’s phone. She says he’s an internet entrepreneur, and creates promo codes for websites. Bethenny arrives. In an incredible new haircut, as though she’d heard Dorinda’s words. No museum for her. In her interview, Ramona says Bethenny greeted everyone except her, but she’s not going to be ruffled. Carole and Dorinda talk about a strip club steakhouse. Luann gets there last, and asks if she can bring anything for the trip. In her interview, she says that she’s only at the dinner to find out if Ramona is coming to Mexico. She tells Bethenny that she’s going to be coming on the same day as everyone else, and in her interview, Bethenny says thanks – in some cases, size does matter. Luann asks Bethenny if she’s inviting Ramona, but Bethenny says she doesn’t want her coming to the distillery. She’s barely adjusting to being at the same table.

Tinsley says she’s moving to a hotel, and plans on being there for two months. Her stuff is still in Florida, and she’s always wanted to be Eloise. Sonja’s newly darkened eyebrows are discussed. Sonja seems to be confused about Tinsley’s move. She wonders why Tinsley would stay with her to get a fresh start, and then go to a hotel. Um… because she’s tired of living with you? Tinsley tells her not to act like she’s blindsided, and don’t be mad at her.

Luann tells Bethenny to just do it, and Bethenny says she’ll have to just rip the bandage off. She sits next to Ramona, and tells her that it’s an uncomfortable situation. She doesn’t want to exclude Ramona, but she’s uncomfortable because of how Ramona has treated her, and doesn’t know how to deal with the situation. Bethenny notices that Tinsley is listening, and tells her MYOB. Bethenny says Ramona tries to make her feel like a failure, and Ramona justifies her remarks. Ramona says that Bethenny has said negative things about her too. In her interview, Ramona doesn’t like how Bethenny is trying to make up, but criticizing her at the same time. Ramona goes blah-blah-blah about her divorce, saying that she was married a billion years, and Bethenny was only married for two. Like being married to wannabe Hoppy for five minutes wouldn’t seem like a billion years. She tells Bethenny not to compare their lives, and to have more respect and sympathy for her. Bethenny says that she’s changed her mind; she doesn’t want Ramona to come on the trip. Ramona says that it’s a group trip and she’s coming, but won’t go to the distillery. This is the most horrific part of Ramona. She suddenly goes off like a rocket – no, into another stratosphere – about something irrational and/or irrelevant, and then acts like she didn’t just do that. And what is it with these reality show people who invite themselves to things they are intentionally not invited to? Sonja thinks Ramona should just let Bethenny speak her mind. Ramona starts crying, and Bethenny says she’s not interested in the waterworks. Ramona says it’s not always about her. Of course not. It’s always about Ramona. Carole thinks this is way too intense for what it is. Because everyone should react like her. In her interview, Bethenny says that Ramona is afraid of being rejected, and when she doesn’t get response she wants, she gets bitchy. Ramona calls Bethenny superficial. Bethenny brings up Ramona saying that she had sex to get where she is, but Ramona conveniently doesn’t remember saying that. In her interview, Dorinda says that Ramona should just be opportunistic, and get the invitation (IKR?); it’s not the place to be assertive and combative. Ramona says people fight and get over it, and she doesn’t need negative energy. She’s the mothering type, and realizes that Bethenny doesn’t want that. Ramona says they’re like oil and vinegar, and Bethenny corrects that to oil and water. Bethenny says that there’s nothing left to say. I swear, even if I’d been in the middle of that argument, I’d have literally LOL’d when Ramona said oil and vinegar.

Sonja tells Ramona that she handled it wrong. Ramona says she’s coming, but not to the distillery. Bethenny is like, hello? I’m sitting right here. That’s another thing. These women will be within two feet of each other and talk like the other one isn’t there. That’s how into themselves they are. In her interview, Sonja says she’s not excusing Ramona’s behavior, but she doesn’t like seeing Bethenny steamroll her, and says it’s Game of Thrones bad. Well, not quite. No one has been flayed alive…yet. Ramona says it wasn’t her intention to hurt Bethenny, and doesn’t know how to fix it. Bethenny says Ramona has done nasty and malicious things to her. Ramona insists that she wasn’t nasty in Vermont. Bethenny, having had enough, suggests they make a pact not to be mean, and just move forward. In her interview, Bethenny says she just agreed to a big bag of BS.

Ramona leaves, and Bethenny apologizes for snapping at Tinsley. Sonja asks if Ramona is coming on the trip, and Bethenny says she didn’t have a choice. She told Ramona that she didn’t want her to come, and she said she was coming. Ramona is like a cockroach that won’t die.

Ramona goes to work with her trainer, Kerry. In her interview, she says it’s good news to be invited to Mexico, but bad news about the truce. She’s not so sure it will happen. Well, it won’t if Ramona drinks, that’s for sure. She says that she has to work off the calories because she’s not giving up her wine. There goes that then. She blabs to Kerry about some guy she met, who said he didn’t mind watching her with another man. In her interview, she says dating is a mine field, where you have to navigate between bombs and goods. Yeah, I’m glad I don’t have to be out there. I don’t think I could be out there.

Carole and Adam join Scott to meet Tinsley. Tinsley is pleasantly surprised, saying he’s cuter in person, and he’s obviously happy. He loves Tito’s vodka, and Tinsley says he’s her man. They high-five. She’s wearing fishnet tights, and his eyes nearly fall out of his head. Carole talks about Scott having a place in Las Vegas, and Tinsley says that she had her 30th birthday there. It turns out Tinsley, Carole, and Scott were all born in August. They talk about Tinsley getting married secretly when she was a senior in high school.

In her interview, Carole says rule number one is don’t talk about your ex. She thinks Scott is a nice guy. and playing along, and that Tinsley needs a genuine nice guy. Carole says he’s never been married, and they talk about him moving away from the company and traveling more. He says that he’s a computer nerd and boring. Instead of surfing, he likes to hang by the pool. Tinsley says that’s right up her alley. In her interview, Carole says she knew they’d get along, and if they get married, she’ll be a hero. Tinsley says that she doesn’t like the taste of alcohol, but it makes her feel more like herself. That’s Carole’s second rule. She thinks Tinsley’s been talking too much about her ex and drinking, and needs a time out to get the date back on track. She drags Tinsley aside, under the guise of using the bathroom.

Carole asks what Tinsley thinks, and Tinsley says she likes him. Carole tells her maybe don’t talk about the alcohol so much, but we can see she’s already drunk. Carole says no on the ex too. Tinsley says this is new to her, and she’s glad Carole is there to keep her in check. Back at the table, Tinsley takes off her wedding ring, that she’s been wearing on her pinkie, and Carole says that it’s a step in the right direction. Scott hugs Tinsley, and she lays a massive kiss on him. He asks what else they can get rid of.

The girls get ready for the trip. Ramona talks to Dorinda, who says to go with a positive attitude, and who knows? By the end of the trip, they might be singing Kumbaya and braiding each other’s hair. Dorinda has never been to Mexico, and asks what to pack. Ramona lists all the stuff she’s bringing, and Dorinda realizes that she forgot to pack bathing suits. This is getting to be a habit with her.

Next time, beautiful Mexico, Ramona complains about her room, skinny(girl) dipping, Luann takes a spill, and no surprise, lots of fighting.

🍴 I need to get to bed early, so I had to skip The f Word (sniff… it’s one of my favorites), but I’ll catch it On Demand over the weekend. I might as well. All the money I pay for FIOS, and they think no one watches TV on the weekend until Sunday night. Then everything is on all at once. Looking forward to Game of Thrones.

🍜 I did catch MasterChef though. Gordon taught the contestants how to cut lamb chops. Geez. That made me think of Shari Lewis and Lamb Chop (google it), and I’ll end up being a vegetarian yet. Come to think of it though, whose brilliant idea was it to name a cute puppet after a cut of meat? It’s kind of cruel. Reba told Gordon she had never had lamb before, and he asked about her hunting skills. One of the things she hunts and cooks up is squirrel. Did you know that the brains are “succulent and delicious?” Me neither. And I never will. Yep, veganism, here I come. It was all about the lamb in the challenge too. Gordon told Sam that his dish was an “insult to the cut.” Ouch! Jennifer was called out for being a basket case before Gordon even took a bite, and he told her to stay composed and not show her weakness. Her lamb was fine, but I’m surprised they haven’t let her go on emotional level alone. At the end, it was between Sam and Newton, whose lamb was undercooked and Christina wasn’t too happy with the breading. Gordon asked one of them to take their apron off, and Sam bowed out. Gordon said he wasn’t ready yet, and Sam made a gracious exit, saying that the criticism made him stronger. Newton appreciated Sam taking a bullet for him, and said he’ll have to rise to the occasion. Next time, the contestants put together a 5-star restaurant, and a breakfast, with scrambled eggs back to haunt them again. There’s also going to be a fish and chips pressure test.
