General Hospital

Lucy bangs on Scotty’s door. She says it’s important and can’t wait.

Felicia invites Nathan to poker night, and invites him for other nights. He wonders why she’s booking up all his free time. She says they don’t want him to get lonely with Maxie away.

At the hospital, Amy is perusing some Man Landers questions. Bobbie asks her for a favor. Amy asks Bobbie a personal marital question, but Bobbie says they’re not there yet. She tells Amy to let Monica know that she’s taking an early lunch. Bobbie sees Carly, and tells her that she’s meeting with Felicia. Carly says Michael can’t find out; he’ll think they’re on a witch hunt. Bobbie says they are, since Nelle is a witch, but they’ll be careful.

Outside of Crimson, Michael tells Nelle he missed her, and they kiss.

Sonny tells Oscar that any problem he’s got, Sonny can fix. Oscar starts to record the exchange on his phone, and tells Sonny to get out before it goes viral. Josslyn tells Oscar that he’s her stepfather. Oscar starts to apologize, but Sonny interrupts. He says what Oscar did was exactly the right thing to do.

Bobbie tells Carly to play nice with Nelle. If she can’t, she’ll blow everything. She says the hardest part will be seeing her with Michael, and when they attack, he’ll want to protect her. She tells Carly to stay pleasant and calm, but not too sweet. Carly says she can outplay Nelle easy.

Nelle tells Michael that he likes to live dangerously, since this is Carly’s turf. He says he thinks his mother knows they’re doing more than holding hands.

Nathan tells Felicia that he has been lonely, but the job is a great opportunity for Maxie, and she’s able to see Georgie. Felicia says he’s an enlightened guy, but that doesn’t keep you company. She says Maxie is concerned, and Nathan wishes Maxie would tell him what’s really on her mind. Felicia says Maxie thinks he’s keeping something from her. He gets a text from Amy.

Scotty says Lucy’s emergencies always translate into grief for him. He’s lucky to be alive, and keeps looking over his shoulder since she blabbed about his involvement with Morgan’s pills. He asks her to leave, saying that he’s billing Julian by the hour, and expects it to be his early retirement. Lucy starts to cry, and says it’s about his father. She says she’s sorry, but he’s gone. He says that can’t be true; he just talked to him, and he’s healthy as a horse. He wants to know why Lucy was called, and she says Serena called her but didn’t want Scotty finding out over the phone. He wants to call Serena, but Lucy says that she’s focused on Gail right now. Lucy tells Scotty that he went peacefully, so there’s some comfort in that. He says it’s out of the blue, and calls Lee a bulldog. Lucy says that’s what makes it hard to accept. Having very recently had a friend pass away suddenly in their sleep, this is getting to me.

Oscar says he was in the wrong, but Sonny says he didn’t know. He likes that Josslyn has a friend who takes action on her behalf, and as far as Oscar knew, he was a stranger trying to get Josslyn alone. He tells Josslyn that he has good news. Her dad’s immigration issues are resolved, and he can come back to the US any time he wants.

Felicia tells Nathan that Maxie has an active imagination, but also good instincts. He says she has no cause for concern. Bobbie arrives to meet with Felicia. Nathan gets another text from Amy asking if he can meet her, and says that he has to go. Bobbie asks if everything is okay, and Felicia says that remains to be seen. Bobbie says Nelle has her hooks in Michael, but not on her watch, and it’s time to take her down. She asks if Felicia is with her, but Felicia says no.

Michael and Nelle run into Carly. She asks what he’s doing there, and he says taking Nelle to lunch. Would she care to join them?

Nathan tells Amy to make it quick. She reads him a Man Landers question, and asks how his sex life is. He says his wife is across the country; what does she think? She hands him the proofs from the photo shoot. He says this was the emergency? He has his own life, and the more they’re seen in public, the greater the chance they’ll be figured out. After this, they’re done with him being the face of Man Landers. She says she needs one more teensy thing – for him to be the face one more time.

Sonny wanted Josslyn to be the first to know. He found out from a friend who works for the government. She asks if it’s the same guy who had her father deported. She’s glad, but wishes it hadn’t happened in the first place. Sonny apologizes again, and says he cares about her and always will. He’ll always have her back. That’s one thing he and Oscar have in common.

Carly asks Michael if it’s a real invitation, but says she’s late for an appointment, so she can’t. Nelle says maybe another time, and Carly says maybe. When she’s gone, Nelle tels Michael that was interesting. She doesn’t know who’s more shocking, Michael or Carly. He says he thought it might do some good. Nelle wonders what would have happened if she’d said yes, and Michael tells her it would have been the shortest lunch on record in a place that has no knives. He says that Carly didn’t take her head off, so that’s progress.

Felicia tells Bobbie that she’s not defending Nelle, but she thinks it’s a mistake. She doesn’t want them alienating Michael, and thinks they’ll just push him away. She suggests they let him live his own life. God forbid.

Scotty calls Serena, but it goes to voicemail. He asks her to call when she gets the message. He says they love her, and maybe it was good that she was there. Lucy says she’s sure Serena must be helping Gail with the details. He tells Lucy that she can go, but she says she took the day off. He pours some liquor, and suggests she go to the spa; he can take care of himself. She asks, by downing a drink? and he says that he’s just getting started. Lucy says Lee had problems with alcohol, and is that a way to honor him? Scotty says he was a disappointment to his father in life, so why not in his death?

Nathan tells Amy that he’s out. He has a career he enjoys, and this wouldn’t help if he’s found out. Amy says her brother was on a wait list for surgery, and the approval just came through. It means she’ll have to take a leave from GH. He doesn’t see what it has to do with him. She tells him that she doesn’t have vacation days, so she’ll have to take a leave of absence. In lieu of her salary, she’s arranged for a gig. Man Landers is giving an interview.

After Sonny leaves, Josslyn asks Oscar not to tell anyone about what happened. Oscar says he won’t, and it’s his fault anyway. He says he’s kind of glad he got to meet Sonny; he’s cool. Josslyn says Sonny did have the good sense to compliment Oscar on his improvised defense tactic, but he can’t do it again. She can’t have him sticking up for her, even if he does it well.

At the MetroCourt, Sonny meets Carly, who tells him about seeing Michael. She says she didn’t scream or yell, and kept her cool when Michael invited her to lunch with them. She can’t stand the position that Nelle is putting him in; she’s driving wedge between them. Sonny asks if she’s making progress or is she playing Nelle? She says Nelle played them, and she’s just trying to put her family back together in bad circumstances.

Bobbie tells Felicia that it’s hard to watch and do nothing. They see Nelle and Michael walk into the restaurant. Felicia tells Bobbie to weigh the risks, and if Bobbie still feels the same way, she’ll do it. Bobbie doesn’t want her to be uncomfortable, but Felicia says she’d be more uncomfortable if it was taken to another P.I., and to let her know.

Lucy tells Scotty that Lee wasn’t disappointed in him. Scotty wants to be alone, but Lucy won’t leave. She knows she wasn’t Lee’s favorite of Scotty’s many exes, but she managed to do something wonderful bringing Serena into the world, and then she and Lee were in each other’s orbits. She says he loved Scotty very much. Scotty says he did, but he failed Lee every step of the way. He says Lee was a great guy, and he took advantage and took him for granted.

Nathan tells Amy to forget it. Amy begs for just one interview. She can shepherd him though it. He says he agreed to the other one, but this is as far as he goes. Amy tells him that she needs all the money she can get; she and Chet still have to survive after the surgery. He asks what about the next time, and the time after that? As her audience grows, so will interview opportunities. She can’t hide behind him forever, and maybe now is the time to reveal herself. She says she’s sorry she dragged him into it, and she’ll figure something out. He tells her to wait, and asks how it’s going to work. She hugs him.

Sonny tells Carly that he was able to give Josslyn some good news. He pulled some strings, and got Jax’s deportation order rescinded. He thinks she was glad, but it’s going to take a while to make it right. Carly appreciates that he’s trying, and says that Josslyn will get there eventually. He asks if she knows anything about Oscar.

Josslyn tells Oscar that he got lucky, but don’t push it. Oscar says he and Sonny are good. She says that Morgan was the only one who could bust on Sonny and not get challenged. Oscar wishes he could have met Morgan. Josslyn says that Morgan would have liked him. He liked anyone she did, but he was spontaneous. He leaped before looking, like Oscar did when he stood up to Sonny, and when he asked her to meet him on the footbridge. She says that doing something just for fun or because it’s a cool idea is very Morgan, but he has to promise not to challenge Sonny next time. Oscar says that’s fine, as long as she promises there is a next time.

Nelle asks Michael if Bobbie is still watching, and Michael says they’re still the center of attention. Nelle wants to leave, but he says the sooner everyone accepts reality, the better off they’ll be. When Nelle goes to the bathroom, Michael approaches Bobbie. She says that she didn’t want to interrupt, but she doesn’t want to pretend she approves or it’s not breaking Carly’s heart. Michael says they have a right to their feelings, but it’s his life, and he has to be true to himself. Bobbie says funny that he’s using the word true. She thinks Nelle is using his graciousness against him, and isn’t sure it’s not part of her master plan. He tells her that both she and Carly have made their share of mistakes, and were given more chances. Why shouldn’t he do that for Nelle?

Scotty tells Lucy that Lee never forgave him for goofing things up with Laura. Lucy says they were just kids. He says that Lee was thrilled. He was going to be a success story, then everything went downhill. We flash back to when Scotty was practically a child and arguing with Lee.  Lucy takes the glass from his hand, telling him that’s enough. He’s allowed to feel sorry for himself, but not to rewrite history. He made mistakes and disappointed Lee sometimes, but it was a long time ago, and not who he is now. She says when Scotty met Dominique, it was magic, and together, they brought Serena into the world. Lee saw him as a new man. He had tears of joy, pride, and love when he saw Serena, and for the man Scotty had become. His father forgave him.

Josslyn talks to Oscar about Jax. She’s glad she didn’t have to visit him in Abu Dhabi, and says she’d either be inside all of the time, or die from a heat stroke. She thinks things here are better. They part company, and Oscar smiles.

Carly says that Oscar was the boy drinking with Josslyn. Sonny says he thought Oscar was cool, but Carly gets unreasonable as usual, acting like Oscar led Josslyn astray, when they were just sitting there talking quietly and barely drinking. Sonny says he’ll support her no matter what. She says that she has to intervene, and she will. Carly spends so much time spinning her wheels over protecting her family from imaginary situations, it’s a wonder she gets anything else done.

Nelle tells Michael that she heard what he said to Bobbie, and asks if he’s ready for this. He says that he’ll respect his family’s wishes, but can’t live his life to please them. She asks what if he’s wrong about her, and he asks if he is. She tells him no.

Bobbie tells Felicia that she thought it over and wants to move forward. Felicia tells her to have Carly call HR. She wants to see Nelle’s employment records. She thinks the real dirt is where Nelle started – in Florida.

Amy tells Nathan that the interview is a podcast, and that she has a plan.

Lucy gives Scotty some coffee. He says he only had two drinks, but she says he’ll take it and like it. He tells her to go, but she promised Serena that she would stay with him. There’s a knock at the door. Scotty says to tell them he’s not there, and goes into another room. It’s Serena. She and Lucy hug and cry. Lucy calls to Scotty, saying when he sees who’s here, he might change his mind. He comes back, and sees Serena.

Tomorrow, Alexis talks to Valentin, Kiki brings Ava a surprise, and Dante has bad news for Sonny.

🐘 Not much else going on TVwise tonight, but I’m glad to see that Zoo is back. It’s worth watching for the special effects alone, but the story is intriguing, the acting top notch, and there are a couple of scruffily cute guys on it. Oddly enough, I’m not a huge James Patterson fan (and they should never, ever let him read from his own books), but this story is completely different from anything I’ve read of his. It seems more like something Michael Crichton would come up with. In a nutshell, animals everywhere are organizing and attacking humans. A zoologist, a safari guide, a newspaper reporter, a veterinary pathologist, and a French intelligence agent join forces to find out why. While the animals are the real stars, the supporting cast ain’t bad either.

General Hospital

At the hospital, Bobbie asks Carly how the wedding was. Carly says it was amazing, and the happy couple is… happy. Bobbie says, a good time was had by all, but Carly tells her not all. Michael brought Nelle as his date.

Nelle tells Nina she has a visitor in her office. Nina assumes it’s Valentin, but it’s Julian. He says he has news for her; the party is over.

Valentin is right behind him though, and walks into the reception area. Nelle thought he was out of the country. He says he’s back, and asks if Nina is in.

Laura tells Doc that she wishes Spencer would take interest in more activities, but right now he’s just interested in the play.

Spencer practices Hamlet in the park. Josslyn sees him, and says it’s a depressing play. At a certain point, she stopped feeling sorry for Hamlet, because he was always feeling sorry for himself. Spencer says there’s no nobler mission than to avenge a father’s death.

Jason and Sonny talk about the wedding. Sonny wants to discuss business. He has something that he thinks will benefit both of them. In her head, Sonny tells Sam that they’re doing business like old times.

Laura asks Doc if she’s doing the right thing. He says that Spencer needs structure and to be with kids his own age. She’s concerned that she can’t distract him from his vendetta, but Doc thinks it’s just a way to keep his father in his life. He thinks they should give him as many opportunities to talk about Nicholas as possible, and maybe they can find better/healthier ways for him to connect to his father.

Josslyn says that Spencer would make a great Rum Tum Tugger (from Cats – which would be even more ambitious than Hamlet for a children’s camp), but he says that he’s better in darker roles; it’s complex, demanding, and takes total focus. She suggests he take a break and do some other activities, but Spencer says that he doesn’t have time for making lanyards and roasting marshmallows.

Carly tells Bobbie about Sonny apologizing to Josslyn, and her not having it. Bobbie says it’s understandable. Carly shouldn’t tolerate disrespect, but Josslyn is allowed her feelings. Carly says that Bobbie is no fan of Sonny’s either. Bobbie tells her that she doesn’t doubt Carly’s love for him, but something always gets in the way.

Mirage Sonny tells Sam that the closer Jason is to him, the farther he is from her and the kids, and the closer he is to death. Jason asks if she’s okay, and she makes something up. She says she has to be somewhere, and asks him to watch the kids.

Nina asks Julian what he’s doing in her office. He says checking on his holdings. He tells her that Crimson is doing well under her leadership. She thanks him, and says not so much the rest of his subsidiaries. He’d better get on it before there’s a hostile takeover.

Nelle tells Valentin that Nina is in a meeting, and he says he’ll wait. He asks about her health and if she’d like to come back as Charlotte’s nanny. She says she just started at Crimson, and he says that as long as she’s working for Nina, she’ll still be in Charlotte’s life. Julian leaves, and Nina sees Valentin.

Doc tells Laura that he’s more worried about her than Spencer. He sees her being strong and meeting Spencer’s needs, but he’s not sure that she’s taking care of her own. He thinks she’s afraid that if she eases up, the loss will overcome her. Laura says she supposes there are consequences for dating a psychiatrist, but Doc says he’s speaking as a partner who loves her. She says they’re coming to the one year anniversary of Nicholas’s death. He asks if it helps that Valentin is gone. Julian pops in out of nowhere, and says Valentin is in Port Charles; he just saw him.

Oscar joins Josslyn, and she introduces him to Spencer. Oscar says it must have been cool to go to a school overseas, but Spencer says he prefers being closer to home; better to reclaim what’s his.

Valentin asks if Nina will see him, and she says let’s get it over with. She asks what he wants, and he says he spent a lot of time imagining her face and smile, and wanted to see her in person. She tells him that she doesn’t have time for this, but he says that he wants to buy an ad for his new non-profit. It offers a safe haven for racehorses that would otherwise be destroyed. He’s named the rescue after her.

Sonny tells Jason that he’s sure Sam is dealing with him getting shot. Jason says she was never like that before, but Sonny says things change. He asks if Jason would like to partner with him in a completely legit business venture.

Carly tells Bobbie that she wants to focus on Michael and why he’s with Nelle. He has good judgement, but feels compassionate toward her, and gave her opening she needed. She says she asked Nelle if it was about revenge. Bobbie asks if Carly caused a scene. Carly says no, but she didn’t do herself any favors; Michael told her to butt out. Bobbie asks if she’s going to listen to him, and Carly says hell no. Nelle is a train wreck waiting to happen, and will end up hurting Michael if she doesn’t do something about it.

Julian explains to Doc and Laura about seeing Valentin at Nina’s office. Doc wonders how it’s possible. Laura says she has to call Lulu.

Valentin tells Nina about how he bought a farm for the horses, and will have children and veterans help rehabilitate them. Covering all the bases, I see. She says it’s beautiful, but transparent; he’s trying to lure her back. He says not lure, but he is trying to get on her good side. She says it doesn’t cancel out what he’s done, and the people he’s hurt, like Spencer. She tells him it’s not about the inheritance, but that he killed Spencer’s father. Valentin says that Nicholas faked his own death, and the rest is open to interpretation.

Spencer tells Oscar that his sinister uncle stole his inheritance, but a peasant like him wouldn’t understand. Josslyn is like, hey! and says she thought he stopped calling people peasants. She tells him that Oscar is a good guy. Oscar wants to get snacks, but Spencer wants to continue practicing for the play. Oscar misunderstands, saying oh, that’s what he was talking about, and that it sounded like he was saying it actually happened. Spencer says it did, and that’s why he’s qualified to play the Dane prince. His real uncle murdered his real father, and stole his inheritance. Josslyn says maybe that’s not the way to go, since Hamlet ended up destroying himself. Spencer says he’s smarter than that.

Carly tells Bobbie that ideally, Nelle will be serving time, and Michael will realize who she really is. Bobbie says Michael has his own life, but Carly says he’s the only son she has left. Bobbie tells her she’s going to lose him.

Sonny tells Jason about a property that he scored when the developer ran out of money. He wants to create a mixed retail and office space. He says it’s a big job, and he needs a partner.

Sam flies into the MetroCourt. Julian is at the bar, and she tells him that she has to talk to him. He thought that she was never speaking to him again, but she says that depends on how the conversation goes. She tells him that Sonny says he’s going legit. Julian says that’s never going to happen, but all she cares about is keeping Jason out of it. If Julian wants a relationship with her and the kids, he’d better care too. Julian thinks he missed something, since Jason has been out of the business for a while. Sam says that Jason dropped everything to warn Sonny about Marvy Garvy. Julian says that doesn’t mean he’s thinking about going back, but Sam says that Jason has loyalty toward Sonny, and she’ll do anything to prevent him getting involved. She asks what he would do. He says if she’s looking for a guarantee, there’s only one option – get rid of Sonny.

Jason tells Sonny that it’s not for him. Sonny says it’s a legit opportunity, and he doesn’t need money, just participation. Jason tells him that there are a lot of great people out there. Sonny says it’s above board, vanilla and mainstream as it comes, but Jason says that people will think it’s a front, and that he’s taking over. He can’t risk it.

Bobbie says she knows that Carly wants to protect Michael, but he made the decision to forgive Nelle. She doesn’t want to back him into a corner. If she does things her way, she could lose him for good, but if she doesn’t, Nelle will take him away. Carly says either way she loses, and Bobbie asks if she honestly didn’t think she wouldn’t come up with a third option.

Nina tells Nelle to warn her next time Julian comes around. She says he’s a liar and a criminal, and tried to undermine the magazine; she can’t trust him. She was going to say she couldn’t trust Valentin either, but there hasn’t been an ounce of proof that he’s committed any crime or broken any law. Nelle asks if she’s happy that he’s back, and Nina says no, they’re divorced. It doesn’t matter; it’s over. Nelle just nods and goes, uh-huh, like she doesn’t believe it. Me neither.

Laura tells Doc that Lulu had a run in with Valentin last night. She asks Doc to come with her to the camp. She wants to get Spencer home before Valentin can get near him.

Spencer continues to practice in the park. Valentin steps out, and applauds. He says that he absolutely believes Spencer could kill a man. He tells Spencer that he wants to talk; things between them are unresolved and they are family. He says he brought a peace offering, and shows Spencer a ring that Mikkos gave to all of his sons to bring them good luck. He wants to pass it on to Spencer. Spencer says that Valentin killed his father. If he thinks that a ring will make them even, he couldn’t be more wrong – dead wrong.

Julian tells Sam that it’s not easy to walk away from the business; it’s almost impossible. Sonny knows too much, and he’d have to turn the territory over to someone he trusts. Sam says that would be Jason, and she’ll lose the family peace that she’s cultivated. Hallucination Sonny tells her that there’s only one way, and too bad she doesn’t have the guts to do it. She says that she has to finish what she started, and tells Julian not to tell anyone about their conversation, not even her mother. He asks if she’s okay, and she says obviously not, since she came to him for help. Outside, she calls someone and asks if they’re still in business. She’d like to make a purchase. Too bad she missed Amazon Prime day.

Jason tells Sonny that it’s not personal. Sonny says he can’t argue it, and Jason says he has faith that Sonny will get out. He asks if they’re cool, and Sonny says they are. He’s going to talk to Michael about a joint venture. He tells Jason to hang on to the papers, so he can give Michael an honest second opinion. Jason thinks he can make it work. Sonny gets a call and has to go.

On the phone in the hallway, Sonny asks Diane to tell him something good. He says, okay, he’ll tell her the good news right away.

Oscar tells Josslyn that Spencer is interesting. She says they’re kind of related. She knows he can be a lot, but there’s a reason. His mom died when he was a baby, so he was close with his dad who was killed last summer. He was supposedly murdered, but no one knows what really happened. The guy was never charged because there wasn’t enough evidence. Oscar says she has a dramatic family, and Josslyn says tell her about it.

Carly says Bobbie just gave her a lecture on sucking it up. Bobbie says that’s not what she said; she told Carly that her plan would backfire and drive Michael away, but it’s not the only way. They need to gather facts about Nelle and arrange for Michael to find out. Carly says he already knows she has a shady past, but Bobbie asks if she thinks it ends there. One secret leads to one hundred secrets.

Carly likes the plan, but says it only works if Nelle has skeletons and if they can find them. Bobbie says it will only work if she keeps her distance. Bobbie calls Felicia, and asks her to find out the rest of Nelle’s story.

Nina tells Nelle that she’s glad Valentin is back for Charlotte’s sake, and the horses at Windemere. And the racehorses at the non-profit he’s put in her name. Nelle is impressed, but Nina says it’s just a gesture and doesn’t change anything. Nelle doesn’t want to overstep, but points out that obviously Nina still loves him. Nina says love isn’t enough, and Nelle asks what it would take. She says to see the future, and know that the future is more important to him than the demons of the past.

Valentin tells Spencer that maybe there’s something he could do to even the scales. He holds out the ring, but Laura and Doc show up. Laura tells him to stay away from her grandson. Spencer tells him to keep the ring; he’ll make his own luck. Valentin can see if the ring helps him when it’s buried with him.

Sam comes home. She asks Jason about the papers, and he explains about Sonny’s project. She says if Jason isn’t going to be involved, why leave the paperwork? Imaginary Sonny says that’s a good question. Jason tells her that Sonny wants Jason to look them over for Michael. She asks what if it’s an excuse, and Sonny thinks he’ll change his mind? Jason promises he’s not going back. Scout cries, and Jason goes upstairs. Not Real Sonny asks if she believes it. Sam says it doesn’t matter; she’s going to make sure it’s not an option, and points a gun at him.

Josslyn tells Oscar that her dad might be away, but he’s alive and well, and her mom is with her. It was selfish and shallow to complain. Oscar says when they start complaining, they should have a special code word they can say to put a lid on it. Josslyn asks if they’re never supposed to complain, but he says there should be a limit. He says the word should be something meaningful to both of them. I swear they say, “bird’s nest,” but that can’t be right. Could it?

At the park, Sonny shows up and asks to talk to Josslyn. She says she has to get back to work; her break is over. He promises that it’s good news, but she’s not interested. Oscar steps in and says she doesn’t want to talk. Sonny says he seems like a good kid, but it doesn’t involve him. Oscar says to leave her alone or he’ll have a problem.

Tomorrow, Carly says she’ll outplay Nelle, Felicia tells Nathan that Maxie thinks he’s keeping something from her, and Lucy visits Scotty with something that can’t wait.

Bethenny goes over the Mexico trip with her director, Joanne. She’ll feel personally responsible if everything isn’t perfect. Omg, more tequila. It’s like tequila week. Bethenny wants to see how the sausage gets made, so they’re going to the distillery, and having a tasting. She says she hasn’t invited Ramona, but since she’ll show up anyway, Bethenny is trying to make sure she arrives later.

Luann and Ramona meet for coffee. Luann asks if Ramona is coming. Ramona says she didn’t get an official invite, but thinks she will.

Carole visits Bethenny at her office. She says she went to court with Adam to get his security deposit back from his last apartment. She was channeling her political angst in another direction, but the landlord never showed up, so Adam won by default. In her interview, Bethenny says Carole is the one person who would want to do jury duty. Not if she lived in Queens. Carole tells Bethenny about getting a text from Ramona. Bethenny says she did too, saying that Ramona is sorry for what she’s going through.

Ramona tells Luann about the text, and remarks on how terrible suckerfish Jason Hoppy is. She says that she was wrong in what she said to Bethenny in Vermont, and Luann says to blame it on the booze. In her interview, Ramona says she has to reach out in a non-confrontational way, or she’ll lose the friendship, and she doesn’t want that to happen. Ramona wonders if Bethenny will exclude her. My Lord, for someone who fears being excluded so much, Ramona certainly acts like a monumental idiot.

Carole tells Bethenny that Ramona is hard to break up with. Ha-ha! Bethenny tells her about the trip schedule, and how she doesn’t want Ramona to ruin the day that she celebrates her business. Ramona won’t be coming when they go to the distillery. Bethenny doesn’t trust her.

Sonja goes to a hair removal salon. She says everyone is hairless except her, and she wants to deal with it before Mexico. I’m not repeating everything else she says. TMI. Way too much. She talks about missing Edgar (Frenchie). Then we get TMI about the men who come into the salon.

Dorinda is throwing a pre-Mexico, post-Vermont dinner at a steakhouse. Carole says she has the perfect guy for Tinsley, and they have a date on Saturday. Dorinda thinks that Tinsley should cut her hair. In her interview, she says long hair on an older woman can make her the Lyceum from the back, and a museum from the front. Tinsley is excited about the upcoming date, and they all look at his picture on Carole’s phone. She says he’s an internet entrepreneur, and creates promo codes for websites. Bethenny arrives. In an incredible new haircut, as though she’d heard Dorinda’s words. No museum for her. In her interview, Ramona says Bethenny greeted everyone except her, but she’s not going to be ruffled. Carole and Dorinda talk about a strip club steakhouse. Luann gets there last, and asks if she can bring anything for the trip. In her interview, she says that she’s only at the dinner to find out if Ramona is coming to Mexico. She tells Bethenny that she’s going to be coming on the same day as everyone else, and in her interview, Bethenny says thanks – in some cases, size does matter. Luann asks Bethenny if she’s inviting Ramona, but Bethenny says she doesn’t want her coming to the distillery. She’s barely adjusting to being at the same table.

Tinsley says she’s moving to a hotel, and plans on being there for two months. Her stuff is still in Florida, and she’s always wanted to be Eloise. Sonja’s newly darkened eyebrows are discussed. Sonja seems to be confused about Tinsley’s move. She wonders why Tinsley would stay with her to get a fresh start, and then go to a hotel. Um… because she’s tired of living with you? Tinsley tells her not to act like she’s blindsided, and don’t be mad at her.

Luann tells Bethenny to just do it, and Bethenny says she’ll have to just rip the bandage off. She sits next to Ramona, and tells her that it’s an uncomfortable situation. She doesn’t want to exclude Ramona, but she’s uncomfortable because of how Ramona has treated her, and doesn’t know how to deal with the situation. Bethenny notices that Tinsley is listening, and tells her MYOB. Bethenny says Ramona tries to make her feel like a failure, and Ramona justifies her remarks. Ramona says that Bethenny has said negative things about her too. In her interview, Ramona doesn’t like how Bethenny is trying to make up, but criticizing her at the same time. Ramona goes blah-blah-blah about her divorce, saying that she was married a billion years, and Bethenny was only married for two. Like being married to wannabe Hoppy for five minutes wouldn’t seem like a billion years. She tells Bethenny not to compare their lives, and to have more respect and sympathy for her. Bethenny says that she’s changed her mind; she doesn’t want Ramona to come on the trip. Ramona says that it’s a group trip and she’s coming, but won’t go to the distillery. This is the most horrific part of Ramona. She suddenly goes off like a rocket – no, into another stratosphere – about something irrational and/or irrelevant, and then acts like she didn’t just do that. And what is it with these reality show people who invite themselves to things they are intentionally not invited to? Sonja thinks Ramona should just let Bethenny speak her mind. Ramona starts crying, and Bethenny says she’s not interested in the waterworks. Ramona says it’s not always about her. Of course not. It’s always about Ramona. Carole thinks this is way too intense for what it is. Because everyone should react like her. In her interview, Bethenny says that Ramona is afraid of being rejected, and when she doesn’t get response she wants, she gets bitchy. Ramona calls Bethenny superficial. Bethenny brings up Ramona saying that she had sex to get where she is, but Ramona conveniently doesn’t remember saying that. In her interview, Dorinda says that Ramona should just be opportunistic, and get the invitation (IKR?); it’s not the place to be assertive and combative. Ramona says people fight and get over it, and she doesn’t need negative energy. She’s the mothering type, and realizes that Bethenny doesn’t want that. Ramona says they’re like oil and vinegar, and Bethenny corrects that to oil and water. Bethenny says that there’s nothing left to say. I swear, even if I’d been in the middle of that argument, I’d have literally LOL’d when Ramona said oil and vinegar.

Sonja tells Ramona that she handled it wrong. Ramona says she’s coming, but not to the distillery. Bethenny is like, hello? I’m sitting right here. That’s another thing. These women will be within two feet of each other and talk like the other one isn’t there. That’s how into themselves they are. In her interview, Sonja says she’s not excusing Ramona’s behavior, but she doesn’t like seeing Bethenny steamroll her, and says it’s Game of Thrones bad. Well, not quite. No one has been flayed alive…yet. Ramona says it wasn’t her intention to hurt Bethenny, and doesn’t know how to fix it. Bethenny says Ramona has done nasty and malicious things to her. Ramona insists that she wasn’t nasty in Vermont. Bethenny, having had enough, suggests they make a pact not to be mean, and just move forward. In her interview, Bethenny says she just agreed to a big bag of BS.

Ramona leaves, and Bethenny apologizes for snapping at Tinsley. Sonja asks if Ramona is coming on the trip, and Bethenny says she didn’t have a choice. She told Ramona that she didn’t want her to come, and she said she was coming. Ramona is like a cockroach that won’t die.

Ramona goes to work with her trainer, Kerry. In her interview, she says it’s good news to be invited to Mexico, but bad news about the truce. She’s not so sure it will happen. Well, it won’t if Ramona drinks, that’s for sure. She says that she has to work off the calories because she’s not giving up her wine. There goes that then. She blabs to Kerry about some guy she met, who said he didn’t mind watching her with another man. In her interview, she says dating is a mine field, where you have to navigate between bombs and goods. Yeah, I’m glad I don’t have to be out there. I don’t think I could be out there.

Carole and Adam join Scott to meet Tinsley. Tinsley is pleasantly surprised, saying he’s cuter in person, and he’s obviously happy. He loves Tito’s vodka, and Tinsley says he’s her man. They high-five. She’s wearing fishnet tights, and his eyes nearly fall out of his head. Carole talks about Scott having a place in Las Vegas, and Tinsley says that she had her 30th birthday there. It turns out Tinsley, Carole, and Scott were all born in August. They talk about Tinsley getting married secretly when she was a senior in high school.

In her interview, Carole says rule number one is don’t talk about your ex. She thinks Scott is a nice guy. and playing along, and that Tinsley needs a genuine nice guy. Carole says he’s never been married, and they talk about him moving away from the company and traveling more. He says that he’s a computer nerd and boring. Instead of surfing, he likes to hang by the pool. Tinsley says that’s right up her alley. In her interview, Carole says she knew they’d get along, and if they get married, she’ll be a hero. Tinsley says that she doesn’t like the taste of alcohol, but it makes her feel more like herself. That’s Carole’s second rule. She thinks Tinsley’s been talking too much about her ex and drinking, and needs a time out to get the date back on track. She drags Tinsley aside, under the guise of using the bathroom.

Carole asks what Tinsley thinks, and Tinsley says she likes him. Carole tells her maybe don’t talk about the alcohol so much, but we can see she’s already drunk. Carole says no on the ex too. Tinsley says this is new to her, and she’s glad Carole is there to keep her in check. Back at the table, Tinsley takes off her wedding ring, that she’s been wearing on her pinkie, and Carole says that it’s a step in the right direction. Scott hugs Tinsley, and she lays a massive kiss on him. He asks what else they can get rid of.

The girls get ready for the trip. Ramona talks to Dorinda, who says to go with a positive attitude, and who knows? By the end of the trip, they might be singing Kumbaya and braiding each other’s hair. Dorinda has never been to Mexico, and asks what to pack. Ramona lists all the stuff she’s bringing, and Dorinda realizes that she forgot to pack bathing suits. This is getting to be a habit with her.

Next time, beautiful Mexico, Ramona complains about her room, skinny(girl) dipping, Luann takes a spill, and no surprise, lots of fighting.

🍴 I need to get to bed early, so I had to skip The f Word (sniff… it’s one of my favorites), but I’ll catch it On Demand over the weekend. I might as well. All the money I pay for FIOS, and they think no one watches TV on the weekend until Sunday night. Then everything is on all at once. Looking forward to Game of Thrones.

🍜 I did catch MasterChef though. Gordon taught the contestants how to cut lamb chops. Geez. That made me think of Shari Lewis and Lamb Chop (google it), and I’ll end up being a vegetarian yet. Come to think of it though, whose brilliant idea was it to name a cute puppet after a cut of meat? It’s kind of cruel. Reba told Gordon she had never had lamb before, and he asked about her hunting skills. One of the things she hunts and cooks up is squirrel. Did you know that the brains are “succulent and delicious?” Me neither. And I never will. Yep, veganism, here I come. It was all about the lamb in the challenge too. Gordon told Sam that his dish was an “insult to the cut.” Ouch! Jennifer was called out for being a basket case before Gordon even took a bite, and he told her to stay composed and not show her weakness. Her lamb was fine, but I’m surprised they haven’t let her go on emotional level alone. At the end, it was between Sam and Newton, whose lamb was undercooked and Christina wasn’t too happy with the breading. Gordon asked one of them to take their apron off, and Sam bowed out. Gordon said he wasn’t ready yet, and Sam made a gracious exit, saying that the criticism made him stronger. Newton appreciated Sam taking a bullet for him, and said he’ll have to rise to the occasion. Next time, the contestants put together a 5-star restaurant, and a breakfast, with scrambled eggs back to haunt them again. There’s also going to be a fish and chips pressure test.

General Hospital

Elizabeth asks Hayden if Obrecht really got arrested. Hayden isn’t at liberty to talk about it, but is surprised Elizabeth cares. She says she doesn’t, but Franco will.

Nathan visits Obrecht in her cell. She’s thrilled to see her son, and wants out, so she can seek revenge. She says she was trapped into a confession, and that cretin stole her job. It was all she had. Nathan says he’ll see what he can do. He goes back out into the station and Finn is there. Finn says he got a message that someone wanted to talk to him, and Nathan says it was from him. He wants to discuss the case against his mother.

Anna runs into Andre at The Floating Rib. She was hoping to see Mac and Felicia, but is glad to see him. She says about last night… and he asks how she feels.

Dante tells Lulu that Valentin is out of prison.

Nina wakes to someone standing in front of her. It’s Valentin. He tells her that it’s okay.

Hayden feels sorry for Nathan. Elizabeth says he can’t be oblivious, but she knows how a mother’s love for her son can be. She asks if she can get something for Hayden, and Hayden admits to wanting to eat everything in sight.

Nathan tells Finn that he doesn’t know if prison is the way to go. Finn says he’s open to alternatives; It depends on what she tells him.

Obrecht sings while she balances her lunch tray on her lap. Nathan brings Finn to the cell.

Dante tells Lulu that Valentin was questioned by customs, and everything was legit. Lulu says assuming he’s legally free, how could it happen? Dante doesn’t know, but knows who might have the answers.

Andre tells Anna that he had an amazing time; it was fun and physical, but he’s glad they stopped when they did. Anna says her too. They were barreling toward something they weren’t ready for. They both wanted to forget and did, for a little while. Anna says they should be friends, and Andre says friends are good. Their conversation is starting to sound like a children’s book.

Anna’s phone rings. She asks Dante how the wedding is, and then says she’s on her way.

Valentin gives Nina a drink. She says that she thought he was going to be killed, and he says that he did too. He was thrown into a van, and was sure he was going to an undisclosed location to be shot, but was told the charges were being dropped and he was free to go. He had time to think on the flight home, and thinks he knows why. The bureau was more complicit than he was, and want to pretend like nothing happened. He’s free, and came home to his wife and daughter. She says he doesn’t have a wife anymore, and he asks why she’s there.

Obrecht wonders why Finn is visiting her, and isn’t interested in what he has to say. Nathan says it’s about her freedom, and she says go ahead, talk. Nathan leaves them to talk privately. Finn tells her that he was talking with Monica, and Obrecht wonders if she’s being burned at the stake or drawn and quartered. He says he has a solution that benefits all of them, but it involves her resigning immediately.

Elizabeth takes Hayden to lunch. Hayden tells her that she and Finn are adjusting. Elizabeth says it’s a big adjustment for someone so early in recovery. She says it might be a good idea for Hayden to get familiar with the signs of addiction, just in case. Hayden starts to ask something, and suddenly feels pain. She says it’s the baby.

Anna goes to the MetroCourt. Lulu asks how Valentin is free, but Anna doesn’t know. She makes a call to Robert, but gets voicemail. She leaves a message asking how Valentin made a legal return to the US. She has some people who are anxious for answers.

Nina tells Valentin that she was just getting her things, and he says, and fall asleep in his sweater. Nina says that she was cold. She says she didn’t appreciate him making her think that he was going to be executed. He says he was sure that he was, and wanted to hear voice one more time. He says he still loves her, and now that he’s been married to her, he’s developed a taste for it. He’s going to convince her they can be a family again. She says he should be worried about Charlotte, but Valentin tells her that with Lulu having custody, he didn’t think it was a good idea to just show up there. Nina tells him where they are, but won’t go with him. She says she’s glad he’s alive and out of prison, but he should go to his daughter. She wishes him well, but says that they’re divorced.

Elizabeth tells Hayden to stay calm and keep breathing. Andre comes over to the table, and suggests they get to the hospital, so Hayden can be checked out.

Obrecht says that while Finn goes on with his career, that he jeopardized, she’s supposed to resign. Finn needs to clear his name, and wants a written apology to him and the hospital. She says he just wants to humiliate her, but he tells her even though that sounds good, he doesn’t want to cause a rift between the hospital and the pharmaceutical company that bought his research. Obrecht says that if she publicly disgraces her name, reputation, and life’s work, the charges will be dropped, but she won’t really be free. She tells him the answer is no.

Nina brings Nathan coffee at the station. He asks if she knows what happened, and tells her about Obrecht tampering with the drug tests. Nina wonders why, and he says she blames Finn for her demotion. Nina asks what will happen now. Nathan tells her that he tried to broker a truce, but isn’t sure it worked. Nina says that Obrecht doesn’t need to be bailed out. Nathan says he knows they’ve had problems, but she loves him – in her own unique, demented way. She’s in trouble of her own making, but he can’t do nothing. Nina tells him that he’s a good guy and helps everyone, and that’s why she loves him. She adds that she needs reality check before she gets in trouble.

On the phone, Anna thanks someone for the information. She tells Dante and Lulu that the charges were dropped. Lulu asks how that’s possible. Anna says that the WSB is concerned about drawing attention to a weapon that isn’t in line with their current goals and methods. They want to avoid embarrassment. Dante says, so they’re covering it up. Anna says there’s not much to cover. Alex is at large, and Helena is dead; their case is just circumstantial.

Valentin enters the MetroCourt and Charlotte runs to him. Lulu almost has a heart attack.

After being checked out, Hayden tells Elizabeth that everything is okay except her dignity. Elizabeth says she’ll trade pregnancy stories with her one day. Andre asks how she really feels, and Hayden says grateful. He tells her congratulations, since he hadn’t known she was pregnant. He asks if she’s having second thoughts, and she says only about her fitness as a mother. He tells her that uncertainty is normal, but advises that she stay away from rich, spicy food. Hayden says she realized how much she wants the baby, and to raise it with Finn. She knows she’ll be a helicopter mom, and Andre says she sounds like a normal mom.

Finn is astounded that Obrecht would rather go to prison than admit her wrongdoing. She says she stayed in Port Charles to acquaint herself with her son, and then tried to help with the Quartermaine corrupted madhouse that is GH. Finn showed up, and everything changed. He says he was there to treat one patient, and would have left, but he has a life there now. If it wasn’t for her spite and anger, he wouldn’t have been cornered into the life he has, so he’s grateful for that. She tells him that the scandal will eclipse her work; she’ll never get a job as a doctor again. He says that’s the fate she’d planned for him, and she says he deserved it. He says she can still see her son through Plexiglas if she wants; what’s it going to be?

Nina tells Nathan about seeing Valentin and that he’s been legally released. Nathan asks where she saw him. She says that she was at Windemere, sleeping on the couch in his favorite sweater

Valentin says he missed Charlotte. She asks where he was, and he says nowhere he as to go again. Some folks made a mistake, but it’s been corrected. He asks about the wedding, and she tells him about being a flower girl. Lulu asks if Charlotte wants to get lemonade, telling her that Anna and Dante need to talk to her poppa. Valentin asks if they want to see paperwork, and Dante grabs it out of his hand. Valentin says it shocked him too. Anna says that without Alex to testify, they don’t have much, and wonders if they let her go too. Valentin says it’s better to pretend the Chimera didn’t exist. Dante says the papers are in order, and Valentin says he’ll collect his daughter then. Dante says that’s not going to happen.

Obrecht tells Finn that his arguments are sound, and as much as she hates to admit it, generous. She’ll says that she’ll take everything under advisement; it might be best way to go. Finn says he’ll be in touch.

Nina tells Nathan that she realized her jewelry was at Windemere. She saw Spencer, who he wants to be there, but can’t because it belongs to Valentin. Nathan tells her that she’s getting sidetracked, and she says that she doesn’t want to admit that after she got the jewelry case, she saw the sweater. It was something familiar, and she fell asleep on the sofa, waking up to Valentin’s smiling face. It was the happiest that she’s ever been. She needs Nathan to tell her why she’s better off without him.

Nathan sees Finn and runs after him. Finn thinks that Obrecht will go along with his proposition, and the charges will be dropped. Nathan thanks him. Nathan tells Nina that he has to follow up, but wants her to stay there and think about Valentin lying to her and leaving her every time Anna called.

Valentin tells Dante that he’s grateful, but he’s back now. Dante says Lulu has custody, and Valentin says it’s temporary. Dante tells him until that changes, Charlotte is staying with them. Valentin tells Charlotte that it’s late, and he has to go back to Windemere to get everything ready for her to stay.

Elizabeth thanks Andre for his help. He’s glad it was just enthusiastic eating. Elizabeth says whatever he said meant a lot to Hayden. Andre asks about them being sisters, and Elizabeth tells him they’re half-sisters. She says it didn’t start off too well, but things are better now, and she’s excited about becoming an auntie.

At The Floating Rib, Finn calls Hayden, but she’s behind him, and tells him to turn around. She says she’ll tell him later why she’s late, and asks about Obrecht. He says that she’s considering his offer, and thinks that they came to an understanding.

Nathan asks Obrecht about the offer. She says it will keep her from going to prison, and he says that’s great news. She adds that all she has to do is resign, and tell the world what she did. She’ll probably never practice medicine again; at least nowhere with indoor plumbing and floors. He says he knows it’s a lot, but it’s better than prison. When she’s alone, Obrecht says she’ll be free to go wherever she wants, and do whatever she pleases – to whomever she pleases. Finn took away her medical career, but she’ll take the most important thing in his life away from him. We see Finn and Hayden laughing together.

Nina thinks about when Valentin gave her the horse, and how she told him that all he has to do is be honest. Nathan asks if she’s doing some remembering. She tells him that every time she remembers something bad, it moves to something good. Nathan says to remind herself that there’s nothing good in the relationship, and every move he makes, she should send him packing, or they both know what will happen.

Valentin tells Charlotte that he’ll see her tomorrow. Lulu tells him about Charlotte being enrolled in Lila’s Kids, and he says he looks forward to hearing about it. Charlotte tells him that she’s glad he’s home, and he says he is too.

Valentin asks Anna to have a drink with him. She says, why not? He asks if they can drink to his freedom, and she agrees. She thinks they should drink to the bureau for making the right call, and he says better late than never. He had a lot of time to think about her and her sister, and the choices they’ve all made. His life would have been different if she’d kissed him that day. He was resentful, but now has nothing but gratitude. Anna left him vulnerable for Alex, and he sold the Chimera to pay for life-changing surgery. Like falling dominoes, he wouldn’t have his daughter or have met Nina. In the end, it happened because of Anna, and he thanks her. She says when she was arresting him, he’d said that she managed to put her mistakes behind her, and build new and better life. Now it’s his turn. She tells him not to blow it, because if he does, there won’t be any more chances.

Tomorrow, Julian has news for Nina, Carly wants to stop Nelle, and Sonny has something that will benefit both him and Jason.

The Haves and the Have Nots

Benny tells Logan that he can’t be forced to give information. Logan says he can take him in though. Benny says he didn’t do anything, but Logan says that’s not the way the DA is going to see it. He asks what Benny knows about Quincy’s murder, but Benny says he knows nothing about it. Logan asks where Candace is, but Benny still won’t talk. Benny tells Mitch not to tell his mother anything. Mitch says he’ll get him out, but Benny says don’t count on it, and he doesn’t want Veronica to know.

Too late. Veronica comes by. Logan says she can talk to him at the station, but she says she’s his lawyer, and she’ll talk to him now. They take Benny away, and she says she’ll come to the station. Mitch says he’ll be there too.

Veronica sees David and asks if he saw them arrest her man. He asks where Jeffrey is. She asks if he wants to come along to the station. He leaves a message for Jeffrey that he’s waiting at the hospital. Veronica asks if he’s serious about “this girl.” He asks where his son is, and she says she doesn’t know. He asks about Melissa at the desk, but doesn’t know her last name. Veronica says now he wants to talk to her, and won’t tell him. She says she’ll give him information if he gives her his, and asks where he met this girl, but he says nothing. David says she pushed Melissa into taking her own life, and he’s glad he left her. She asks if he’s sure he’s gone, and he says he couldn’t be more gone. She tells him that when you really love someone, you tell them everything, never knowing a mad day will come. When it does, that person you love so much, has your deepest, darkest secrets locked away. He says she doesn’t scare him. She says what she knows should scare him. He says he knows her dirt, but she says he also knows how clever she is. He calls her a rabid wolf, and Jim sits down behind them and howls.

Jim says they look tense, and Veronica says he brings that out in them. He asks David if the number was traced. David says he’s working on it and Jim tells him to make it quick. Veronica calls them devils, and asks what they’re up to now. Jim calls her leader of the legion, and says they’re just herding cats – whatever that means. He asks if she wouldn’t like to thank him. She says no, and when he asks about their “situation,” she says, oh, you mean Kathryn murdering the DA? She’s keeping the secret, but says whatever they’re planning, make it quick. She suggests that Jim stop by to see Wyatt. He asks what she means, and she says she didn’t do anything to him; he did it to himself. She tells him Wyatt is there, and when Jim asks why, she says she’s not a doctor.

Jim asks about Wyatt at the desk, but the nurse says he has to talk to Wyatt’s doctor.

Jeffrey visits Melissa. She tells him to get out. He asks if she’s okay, and she says of course not. He says he does care, and she asks since when. He doesn’t want her to hurt herself. She tells him just go, and he tells her that taking her life isn’t the answer. She asks if he’s really trying to help her, and says he’s wasting his time. She tells him that the only person who ever loved her is dead. He says her mom loves her, and she says like his mother loves him, but her father loved her. He says he’s sorry, but she says he’s just like his mother. They just want to inflict pain, but dammit, she’s a human being. She tells him to leave, and he does.

Hannah sits on Kathryn’s couch in her blood-stained clothing. She asks where they are, and Kathryn tells her it’s one of her houses, and gives her something to help her sleep. Hannah doesn’t want to sleep, but Kathryn says she needs to; it’s the only thing that will help. Hannah takes the pill. She asks why Kathryn is staying there, and Kathryn says she’s divorcing Jim, but it’s not about her. She suggests Hannah take a shower, and change clothes. Hannah doesn’t want to shower, but Kathryn tells her to look at her hands. They’re covered in blood. Hannah starts to cry again. Kathryn holds Hannah, saying that she’s sorry, and Hannah says he was all she had and it’s killing her. There’s crumbling in her soul. Kathryn understands, but says that Hannah has a strong belief in God. She knows it’s tragic, but also knows that her faith is too strong to let anything shake it. Even this. Hannah says she’s only human, and now she has to bury her grandson. She says she’s so angry, and Kathryn tells her to just breathe. She takes Hannah to get cleaned up before the pill kicks in.

Hannah looks at herself in the mirror. She washes her hands and cries.

Jeffrey goes to Wyatt’s room. He asks Anna how Wyatt is doing. Wyatt says he feels so sick, but Jeffrey says he can do it. Anna gives them privacy. Wyatt wonders if they can help him, and Jeffrey says he knows they can. He says Wyatt is stronger than he thinks. Wyatt says he’s never had to be strong before, and it’s never been this bad. Jeffrey reminds him of the facility, and says it has been this bad. Wyatt begs for something, and Jeffery says just stay, they have a plan. Wyatt says he’s freezing, and Jeffrey goes to get a blanket. He sees Justin in the hallway. They exchange glances. Justin follows Jeffrey.

Jeffrey brings the blanket to Wyatt and tucks him in. Justin looks through the window, then pops in and asks if he can talk to Jeffrey. Jeffrey says he’s busy; now is not the time. Wyatt says that Justin needs to leave, and Jeffrey says he’ll call. Justin says he’ll wait outside. Wyatt is like wth? This guy is nuts. Jeffrey tells him to rest, but he can’t. Jeffrey asks if they gave him something to help, but he says it’s not working. Jeffrey tells him to give it some time. Wyatt thanks him, and apologizes for treating him like crap. He says Jeffrey is his only friend. Jeffrey says it’s okay, but Wyatt says it’s not. He begs Jeffrey not to leave. He asks if Jeffrey will be there when he wakes up, and Jeffrey promises he will. Wyatt says he doesn’t want to die, and Jeffrey says he won’t; he’s going to kick it. Wyatt keeps repeating not to leave him.

Oscar goes to his hotel room. He tells Candace to wake up. He throws a bag on the bed, saying it’s 250K, and asks if he has her attention. She says it’s hers, and he says it’s a chance for her to earn it. He could have gone to the police. He wants to work with her, but she doesn’t want to; she’s fought bigger devils than him and won. She tells him to leave and he says fine, but he’s taking it. He tells her she’s stupid and doesn’t she get what’s happening. She says she sees him trying to destroy a good man. He asks if she wants to lie on her back the rest of her life. He could have used anyone, but they’re not her. She refuses to help him, and he tells her to play the long game. She says she’s not interested and neither is William. Oscar asks if he said that, and what else did he say? Candace says she’s not giving William over. They struggle over the bag of money and she finally agrees, but Oscar thinks she’s lying. He says his clients are expecting results, and she doesn’t want to mess with them. She says she’ll do it. He says he gets it – she’s going to blackmail him on her own. He tells her not to do it. William is going to be President and has very little money. These things are bought and sold, and it’s a league she doesn’t play in. If they feel threatened, they’ll come for her. Candace tells Oscar good-by. He says she’s damaged, and he can’t use her. They struggle over the bag again. She says she’ll scream, and starts yelling for help. Oscar jets. Candace sees that only the outer bills on the packs of money are real. The inside is just paper.

Anna comes back to Wyatt’s room. He’s sleeping, and Jeffrey thanks her. She thanks him in return. She says that Wyatt really loves Jeffrey. Jeffrey says that Wyatt he isn’t gay, but Anna asks if he has to be to love him; she knows they both love each other. Jeffrey says he’s leaving; he doesn’t want Wyatt to trade one dependency for another, meaning himself. He wants Wyatt to stand on his own, and Anna says that’s smart. Jeffrey asks if the cop is still out there. She says he is, and asks if everything is okay. He says it’s fine, and leaves.

Justin is waiting like a spider in a web. Jeffrey asks why he’s still there, and Justin says he just wants to talk, but not here. Jeffrey says he’ll call him then; he’s not going anywhere. Justin apologizes, saying he was out of control and it will never happen again. He asks Jeffrey to please talk with him elsewhere. Jeffrey begrudgingly follows him.

Justin goes into a stairwell. Veronica sees, but walks away. Justin says there’s no cameras. Jeffrey says he needs cameras with Justin. Justin apologizes again, and says that Jeffrey doesn’t need to be afraid. He didn’t know Wyatt was his friend, and he can be jealous at times. Jeffrey says they’ve been friends since they were kids, and he and Justin aren’t together; he can see who he wants. Justin tells him not to say that. Jeffrey says he thinks they’re on different pages; things are moving too fast. Justin says he knows Jeffrey is hurt and mad, but it’s not him. Answering like I would, Jeffrey says it is him, and Justin says he’s trying and to give him credit. Jeffrey says that Justin is giving him the same look as when he attacked him, and needs to calm down. Justin says he’s trying to control himself. He’s never felt like this before. He has a wife, but all he knows is that he really likes being with Jeffrey, and it made him a little crazy. He’s sorry. Jeffrey accepts his apology, and tells Justin about Melissa. He says he was supposed to marry her, and Justin asks what’s going on. Jeffrey doesn’t want to talk about it right now, and tells Justin that he should back up his apology by dropping it. Justin says to call him, and asks if he’s going back to Wyatt’s room; he doesn’t like it. Jeffrey says here’s his chance to show how sorry he is, and Justin tells him to go. He gives Jeffrey a kiss, and Jeffrey goes back out to the hall. Justin waits on the stairs.

Veronica comes up the other way. She says, so, you’re married.

Next time, Jeffrey doesn’t think that Jim should see Wyatt, Veronica asks if Justin’s wife knows about his unnatural affections, and William tells Candace that she has no idea who he really is.

Below Deck Mediterranean

Hannah asks Adam to dress more appropriately in front of the guests. He says she thinks she’s perfect, but she’s not. She says she’s not there to keep the crew happy, but the guests. He tells her she’s already made that clear.

Hannah asks the captain if Adam’s attire is okay with her. After she leaves the wheelhouse, Captain Sandy calls Adam in, and tells him that he needs to wear his uniform in front of the guests. He asks if Hannah approached her, and she says it doesn’t matter. Those are her standards.

Bugs thinks something more happened between Hannah and Jason than Hannah is owning up to. She thinks it’s wrong for Hannah to be calling Adam out, when she’s getting involved with charter guests.

Hannah whines to Captain Sandy that she’s used to a different standard, but the captain tells her to get off her high horse after what she just did.

It’s time for lunch. More food, glorious food. Even the salads are amazing. Adam brings Malia some of the cookies that he’s made for dessert. I want one of those too. Great food, liquor, and blue, blue water. What else could you possibly need?

The captain tells Wes to take the guests for a walk with Malia when they get to shore. Adam complains to Max about having to take his hat off when addressing the guests. Proving once again that he’s fourteen years old. Bobby shows Malia how to tie knots.

Adam tries to get information about Hannah from Bugs. She doesn’t really say anything, but the next time Adam sees Hannah, he tells her that maybe she should think twice about dating the guests. She asks if there’s anything else he wants to ask her about, but he says that’s it.

Captain Sandy wants the crew to know how appreciative she is, and says they’re improving as they go. Hannah makes notes for the tequila pairing dinner. Wes and Malia take the guests on a walkabout, and walkabout to a bar. They deposit the guests there and get ice cream. On the yacht, Adam says he has experience drinking tequila, but has never done a pairing before. He thinks Mexican food is the way to go. In her interview, Malia says she doesn’t want to tell Wes about knowing Adam before the charter. She doesn’t see what good it would do.

Hannah tells the captain that she’s struggling with serving the food. She thinks it’s repetitive, and wants to put down food she’s excited about. I’m excited about any food that I don’t have to cook.

The guests get back to the boat, and dinner begins. As usual, the centerpiece is everything – this one using chili peppers as the focus. The first course is queso and pork, with homemade tortilla chips, along with margaritas. I have to say it. I hate tequila. I had shots once and that was enough. A friend of mine asked me what I expected from something made of cactus, but everyone else seemed to like it. I also only had margaritas once. They were okay, but I only had two, and the bartender was so heavy-handed, it wasn’t worth it in the morning. The crew gossips about Hannah in the crew mess. Malia says she’s tired of her. Next is some kind of chicken dish, and a tequila ginger beer drink. Still a no from me, but the guests are happy. Max tells Adam about Hannah saying his food is boring. Hannah asks Bugs how she likes the new shift. Bugs pretends to like it, but in her interview, she doesn’t think it’s fair since she has to do more work.

Wes talks to Lauren about Hannah and guest Jason, wondering how much they did. Lauren thinks it got them a bigger tip, so she doesn’t care. The guests declare dinner f-ing good.

Hannah and Lauren have a smoke on the deck. Hannah talks about going to war, and Lauren says she’s scared. In her interview, Bugs says Hannah wasn’t even interested in Lauren, and now they’re BFFs. The guests are still raring to go. Primary guest Lauren (as opposed to deckhand Lauren) can barely form words, but wants a “tequila bump.” In their room, Hannah tells Lauren that everyone hates her, and f-yous all of them, except Captain Sandy and Lauren. Wes shows the guests his version of the worm.

It’s anchor watch shift change, and also around 3 am. Malia and Wes kiss in the wheelhouse. In her interview, Malia doesn’t think it was the wisest decision, and would have liked another setting.

It’s departure time. Hannah says that she has a good idea for where the crew should go on their night out. Adam says it must be a good restaurant, since his food sucks. She tells him to make himself clear, and she’ll have a conversation. She tells him that she cares about the guests’ food, and it’s been soup and salad the entire season. We flash back – and it has! I still think everything looks fantastic though. Adam tells Hannah that he prides himself on variety, and she says she’s just used to a different standard (word of the day).

The crew gets in their whites, the guests pack, and Wes is mastering the bow. The guests rave about the trip, and guest Lauren says it was the best trip of her life. She says everything was awesome, and Captain Sandy is a kick ass woman. Which leads to tip time. The captain tells the crew that the next guests have asked to board from their hotel, so they have to dock before they get their freedom. She says that the guests are having the yacht come to them, which sets a standard (what did I say?). She wants the best of the best, and no back talk. She thinks they’re definitely a team, and says, bring it on. The tip is $15K, or $1363 each.

Captain Sandy is proud of Max, and says it’s his turn to move the boat off the dock. In his interview, Max says just call him captain. Bugs tells Lauren that she feels like she’s in the middle, and Lauren says she’s trying to stay neutral and doesn’t want to be roped into anything.

Bobby gives Wes a haircut. The captain calls Wes to the bridge and asks if he had to name a second-in-command, who would it be? He says not Max, and although Bobby has more experience, Malia seems to be grasping it quickly.  Captain Sandy says she wants him to choose who should have more responsibility. In her interview, she says she wants them to learn leadership skills. She tells Wes that they’ll get mad, but they’ll respect him.

Time to go out. The crew goes to another beautiful restaurant, and sits outside where there’s a firepit. Jason messages Hannah, and she asks if they all want to see it. Bobby says he was just joking around, and she says he’s okay, but taking it to the bar and having a laugh at her expense is a different story. She wants to know why they would read a primary guest’s messages anyway. She does sort of have them there. While Hannah was on the other end of the messages, Jason was a guest, and his privacy should have been respected as such. Bobby says the iPad belongs to the boat. Wes says she should have texted him or better yet, not messed around with him. Hannah says Jason kissed her, and Wes tells her she should have pushed him off. She says she pretty much did, and decides to go back to the boat. Lauren asks what she should do, and Hannah tells her to stay and have fun. On the way back, Hannah mumbles that she’s over the boat and over the season.

In the morning, Wes tells the deckhands that this is the point in the season when people lose their minds, so let’s just get through it. Captain Sandy calls the preference sheet meeting. She tells Adam, Wes, and Hannah that the guests are high caliber, and everyone has to step up their game. The primaries are Jeremy and Maureen, and they’re bringing along some realtor friends, including a yacht broker that the captain knows. Captain Sandy says she’ll probably be looked at like she’s under a microscope. Shannon (the broker) will want to see how she manages, so the crew will see her a lot. In her interview, Hannah says that if you fail to impress a charter broker, you’re name can be dragged through the dirt.

Sandy talks to Adam. She wants to see his very best. Cookies? She wants him to think he’s in a competition.

Hannah wants a super quick chat with Bugs. She doesn’t want any tension. She says she flirted with guest, but on her father’s life, she wasn’t messaging him while he was on board, only afterward. Bugs tells her that the time stamp says differently, but Hannah says she has the original messages. In her interview, Bugs says the time stamp can’t be changed on an iPad (I dunno about that), but tells Hannah that it’s in  the past and she just wants to move on. They hug it out. Lauren says no fun allowed this charter

The guests arrive. I hate them already. Captain Sandy says her reputation is on the line, and they can’t be less than perfect. She jokes to Shannon that the pressure is on, but she’s really not joking. JokingNotJoking.

Hannah does the tour. Captain Sandy tells the deckhands to make it fast; she wants to get off the dock. The guests toast to the most spectacular cruise ever. Wes delegates jobs. He wants to choose a second who wants to go further. He thinks Malia is the right one, even though people will think he gave it to her for another reason. Well, yeah. I don’t even like Bobby and think it should be him. Wes says that Bobby is a good worker, but doesn’t show the intention of going forward. In his interview, Bobby says he’s told Wes he wants to be a captain, and this is BS; he’s obviously showing favoritism.

Wow. The stews wear gloves to put out the glasses. The yacht anchors. Bugs tells Lauren to pay attention to every detail; Shannon is picking up on everything. Sandy says she doesn’t work with Shannon often, but wants to make sure she’s happy. The first meal is a success.

Wes talks to Malia about Captain Sandy asking him to rank his deckhands. Malia thinks it will cause tension no matter what. Adam tries to be more creative with the dessert. He tells us that a charter broker can recommend you for jobs. Hannah serves watermelon granita in giant ceramic spoons, and Shannon asks if it’s handmade. Hannah is like, what? and Shannon asks if it’s out of a box or something whipped up. Huh? Is she drunk? Hannah says it’s from an actual watermelon. After lunch, the guests go swimming, and then move on to the hot tub.

Malia tells Bobby about Wes having to rank his deckhands, and that he said they had different strengths. In his interview, Bobby tells Lauren that Wes has spent more time with Malia, since he does the schedules, and he doesn’t even know what Bobby can do. Max and Bobby gossip about Hannah. The captain tells Wes that he has to make a decision. There’s no choice of putting it off any longer.

Next time, a guest leaves mid-charter, Malia argues with Bobby, Adam asks Malia how she sleeps at night, and Wes and Adam get physical. And not like the Olivia Newton-John kind of physical.

General Hospital

Nina reads over the Man Landers interview. She says too bad Man Landers is a fraud and fictional. She looks at her rings, and says that doesn’t mean it’s wrong.

Everyone is watching the fireworks grand finale at the MetroCourt. Sonny’s phone rings. He tells Carly that Avery’s nanny just showed up, and no one is at her house. Carly wonders if there was something lost in the translation, but he says Josslyn isn’t home.

Josslyn is still with Oscar on the footbridge. He says he needed a break from everything, and she’s the only one he wanted to talk to. She tells him how happy she was to get his text. She suddenly sees the time, and says the nanny is probably there already. Carly calls, but she lets it go to voicemail. Carly texts where are you? and Josslyn says she’s going to be killed.

Carly asks Sonny, what if something is really wrong? What if there was an accident? Sonny says they’ll say their good-bys, and he’ll drive her home.

Oscar offers to take the heat, but Josslyn says it’s her fault. She knew what she was doing. She tells him that it’s the first time she’s felt normal in a long time. Oscar says him too.

Sonny tells Olivia that there’s a problem with the nanny and Avery, and they have to go. He asks to talk to Olivia privately. He tells her that she deserves everything, and he’s glad she found it; Ned is a lucky man. They watch Charlotte laughing with Dante and Laura. She says they didn’t do too badly. it’s been a wild ride, but she wouldn’t change a thing. Before he leaves, Sonny tells Ned to take good care of her.

Michael tells Nelle don’t even think his parents are leaving because of her. She says she wasn’t going to say that, she was going to tell him that she’s starving. She says that she appreciates him inviting her, and he thanks her for saying yes. They kiss.

Charlotte says it’s the best night ever, and she gets to stay up late. She talks about them being a family.

Nina needs a drink.

Monica makes a toast on behalf of the Quartermaines, welcoming Olivia to the family. Dillon says his mom can’t be there, but is in spirit – and in gift. He has Ned and Olivia hold up the glasses. Dillon says he’s the best man, but really Ned is – kind compassionate, and a legitimate rock star. He was worried that Ned was going to die a spinster. He wonders what the male equivalent is, but Ned says they get the point. Dillon thanks Olivia for being amazing, and bringing a smile back to Ned. He toasts to a lifetime of love and laughter for the couple.

Ned is honored that Olivia has decided to take his name. He says the first Mrs. Edward Quartermaine was a great and gracious lady, and can’t think of anyone better to follow in her footsteps.

Nina comes in, and Charlotte runs to her. Charlotte asks if she’s here for the wedding, but Nina says she didn’t know it was going on. Nina tells Olivia that she came by mistake; she just wanted a drink. They invite her to join the party.

Dillon announces Mr. and Mrs. Edward Quartermaine, and they have their first dance. There’s a song part, but hopefully no one gets busy on the dance floor. Nina asks Charlotte if she likes where she’s living, and Charlotte says it’s been really good. She wishes her father would come back though, so the three of them can be family. Nelle and Michael tell Charlotte what a wonderful flower girl she was, and Nelle thanks Nina for the dress. They take the dance floor. Charlotte asks Nina if she’s going to dance. She says she has to go, but she’s glad to see Charlotte.

Josslyn asks Carly how the wedding was, and Carly says great, until they found out she wasn’t there. Josslyn says she just stepped out for a moment, and acts like she never got the call or text. Stupid phone!

Dante tells Charlotte that he usually dances with Lulu, but she’s not there right now, so would she dance with him? She says her poppa taught her, and they dance with her feet on his. Nina watches for a moment, downs some more of her drink, and leaves. Doc walks in and surprises Laura, who thought he was working. He says when he went home to change he realized he was missing something – her grandson.

Carly tells Josslyn they need to talk. Josslyn says she told Carly she was sorry, Avery is fine, what else is there? Carly wants to know where she was.

Doc shows Laura a text. Spencer has gone to get proof of his inheritance, and will see them on the flipside. Doc wonders where Spencer would go, and Laura asks if he feels like taking a boat ride.

Josslyn tells Carly that she was going crazy, while her friends were out doing what they wanted. Carly says maybe her friends didn’t have a party with boys and alcohol. She just wants Josslyn to be honest, and Josslyn says she went for a walk, alone, and lost track of time. She wonders if she’s going to be grounded for life now, and says Carly makes the same mistakes over and over again, and calls it true love.

Ned tells the guests that their hearts are full, and Olivia seconds that. They tell everyone how much they love them, and Olivia gets ready to throw the bouquet. Charlotte makes Nelle join them, and Kiki grabs Monica. Kiki catches the bouquet, and quickly hands it to Charlotte when she sees Dillon looking at her.

Nina goes to Windemere. She asks if anyone is there, but it looks desolate. She thinks about Christmas, and tells herself to get her things and get out. Spencer walks in. She asks what he’s doing there, and says he scared her. He says he thought no one was home. She tells him that she’s staying at the MetroCourt, but came to get her things. He says her timing is perfect; now he can have a witness. He found a locked box under his father’s bed, and thinks it might be the answer to the true will.

Laura and Doc come in, looking for Spencer. Laura apologizes to Nina; she can’t believe this is happening again. Spencer says he sent a text, and Laura says he can text her when he’s eighteen. He tells her about the box. She says it’s become an obsession, and tells him put it down; they’re going home. Doc thinks he should open it – with Nina’s permission – or they’ll never hear the end of it. Spencer picks the lock, having learned it in boarding school, and Doc says money well spent. Spencer takes out a document, but it’s in Greek. Doc has a passing knowledge of the language, and says that it’s the last will and testament of Mikkos Cassadine.

Carly says that Josslyn will make mistakes, that’s what being an adult is all about. She tells Josslyn that she made even worse mistakes when she was young. Josslyn asks if that makes her smarter, and Carly tells her that she never said she was smarter, but she’s more experienced. She says what she knows for sure, is that she wants Josslyn to make better decisions than she did. Josslyn says what about Sonny, and Carly says not everything is about him. She says that Josslyn’s feelings are hers, but what she does affects all of them. Josslyn asks why Carly gets a free pass. Sonny walks in, and surprises her by saying she’s right.

Spencer says this is the real will, but Doc tells him that it’s just a copy of the one leaving everything to Valentin. Laura says he has to face the truth, and Spencer quotes Hamlet. Laura says they’re performing it at Lila’s Kids. Spencer tells them that he plays the prince whose father was killed by his uncle, and asks if they see a parallel. Nina says she’s sorry, and he shouldn’t be expected to understand. She says she’ll make sure that he can come to Windemere whenever he wants, and even ride her horse. Laura says he has a home with her and Doc, and it’s time to go there. She apologizes for the intrusion, but Nina understands.

Dante thanks Olivia for an amazing life. Everything she did was for him and it’s finally her time. He wants her to enjoy it. She tells him that he’s the best gift she’s ever been given, and he’s the favor to her; she wouldn’t change anything. She says he’s the best son anyone could want, and she found the man of her dreams when she was ready to be with him. They hug. Dante tells Ned to take care of her.

Ned asks if she’s ready to do this, and Olivia says lead the way. Everyone blows bubbles at the happy couple, and they get in the elevator and kiss.

Sonny says he gets that Josslyn is upset, and Josslyn says upset is an understatement. Sonny tells her that he messed up, did something terrible to her dad, and she hates him. He says someone does something to his family, and he wants to retaliate, but Josslyn tells him not to pretend they’re alike. She says she used to look up to him. He insists it’s different now, but he knows she won’t believe it until he proves it. He can’t take back what he did, but doesn’t want her punishing Carly for something that’s his fault.

At the Crimson office, Nelle tells Michael that she doesn’t want to return the dress. He offers to buy it for her, but she says it belongs to the designer, and her coach is turning back into a pumpkin. He says Cinderella has nothing on her. She asks if he had fun, and he says the night isn’t over. She says it is for her shoes, and he asks if she wants to keep them on longer, and kisses her. I don’t want to know.

Ned brings Olivia to their honeymoon suite. The bed is covered with rose petals. He says he’s the luckiest man on the planet, and Olivia says she’s the lucky one. They get busy.

Nina wanders around, picking up a sweater, and putting it on. She wonders if Valentin is even alive, and says she misses him. She lies down on the sofa.

Dante answers the phone. He tells them to say it again, adding that it’s not possible. Hmm… Valentin has escaped? Or made to disappear?

Sonny appreciates Josslyn hearing him out, and hopes she forgives him one day. Carly says to leave Avery there, since she’s asleep. She apologizes for the night ending the way it did, and thanks Sonny for being open with Josslyn. He asks if she thinks it’s working, and Carly says to give her time; she’ll come around.

Josslyn gets a text from Oscar asking if she’s okay. She says she is now.

Nelle and Michael get busy. In the office. She says they should probably stop, but they don’t. Olivia and Ned are also still getting busy. The song part covers both couples.

Spencer is on the footbridge. Laura says it’s late they should go, but he wants to be alone with his thoughts. Laura and Doc wait in the car. Spencer says the law may be on Valentin’s side, but he doesn’t care. No matter where he is, no matter how long it takes, Spencer will fight for his inheritance, and claim what’s his. He tears up the will, and throws it into the water.

Lulu asks Dante if everything is okay. He says fine. Lulu is bummed she missed the wedding, and he says they have to talk. Geez, they’re not even trying to hide Emme Rylan‘s (Lulu) pregnancy anymore. Dante tells her that it’s bad news.

Nina sleeps. The door opens. Someone stands next to her. She sits up and says, OMG.

Tomorrow, Anna and Andre talk, Lulu asks how this happened, and Obrecht asks if she’s going to be burned at the stake or drawn and quartered.

Southern Charm – Reunion Part One

Considering we left the season on a really weird note – for one thing, Landon sticking up for Kathryn – this should be interesting.

OMG – Kathryn’s dress!  It’s a red lace confection with bows everywhere, and looks amazing with her red hair. It’s one of those things that not everyone could pull off, but I love it on her. I’d add a little Steampunk to it though.

First, we find out that Craig has passed the bar. (Cue the fireworks, marching band, and flags.) He wonders what they’ll talk about now. Cameran’s pregnancy – it’s a girl! – is discussed. She talks about the rocky road to mentally get there, but says it happened so quickly, her husband asked if she was cheating. She thinks it’s weird, and that she won’t get attached until the baby is in her hands.

Andy asks if Craig has always been a hobbyist. Craig talks about taking home-ec in school. I didn’t know those classes still existed, but I’m impressed. Shep thinks Craig might go into gardening law. Ha-ha! Craig’s fudging about taking the bar is discussed. Craig says in his head, he always thought he’d fix it before anyone found out. He says that Shep was more berating this year, but Shep says that he wants everyone to succeed, and doesn’t know how to handle these things. He didn’t want to rain on Craig’s parade, but didn’t know he was in the middle of one. Craig says that Shep is a huge parade rainer. We move to some insults from Thomas, and Cameran calls Craig girly, but in a good way. Craig as mediator is brought up. Shep says he can never say what he needs to, and Craig says that’s because Shep doesn’t let him talk.

Andy brings up Naomie’s distain for Craig’s meddling. Craig says Naomie acted like he had no good traits. He didn’t understand why she was with him, but Shep thinks a significant other should give you a hard time.

Commercial break – Valerian looks amazing! Huge strange monsters, lots of morphing, and girls kicking ass. I’m in.

Andy calls Craig a jack of all trades, and master of none. I’m not sure why, since he wasn’t a big flop with that onesie. He says that Craig hasn’t mastered relationships either, and Naomie is brought out. They talk about how they met, and how long it took them to actually go out. The cheese vs. oral sex debate is discussed, and Andy wonders what’s wrong that Craig likes cheese better. Naomie says she might answer the same way. Go cheese!

We move on to their fights, and watch some clips. Bleepity-bleep-bleep-bleep. Craig says fighting with her was the worst, and he has no explanation. Shep points out that she wasn’t airing laundry, but voicing concerns, but Craig took it as a betrayal. Shep thinks Craig wants secrecy, not loyalty. Naomie says he’d told her everything before they started dating. She says Craig wants a ride or die girl, but she wants to know where they’re riding and why they have to die. That’s actually quite interesting, since it does seem like people are one way or the other – either they’ll back you up no matter what, or you have to field a million questions and write an essay as to why you need them to have your back. Naomie doesn’t regret showing the world that relationships aren’t perfect. She thinks pretending that they are makes other people feel inadequate.

Andy was impressed with Kathryn’s advice to Naomie. Kathryn says if she had it to do over again, she would have kept more things private. She says the others didn’t know her, and took her for a gold-digger. Landon says she never wanted to be involved, but Kathryn says she involved herself by talking about it. Oh man, I know exactly how she feels. I hate when people insert themselves in your business, and then act like you’re the one who put them there. Andy throws it back to Craig and Naomie, and asks if they were close to breaking up. Craig says they hit rock bottom after the show, but started talking, and went back to basics. Naomie says it’s better, but it’s a process. Andy tells them good luck, and Naomie exits.

Austen is up next. Andy asks if he’s ever mistaken for Shep (he is), and how he’s different. Austen says he’s a hopeless romantic. (Or maybe just hopeless. BA-DUM-CHH!) Thomas says that he and Shep suffer from ABC – Aging Bachelor Condition. He thinks Shep is more mean and sarcastic than Austen is. Austen informs us that the beer company he was working for wanted him to move to Savannah, so he left the job. That might have been interesting; he could have crossed over to the other show. Andy tells him that the world is his. Austen’s late sister is mentioned, and everything gets serious. He says the response was overwhelming, and his parents were very touched. Andy asks if it was scary to share it on camera, and Austen says to have a level of vulnerability is important in a relationship, but he thought hard about it. A viewer says that Chelsea is like the guy in the relationship, and Cameran says she loved every bit of it, and how Austen pursued Chelsea. She talks about how at first, she’d thought Chelsea was right for Shep.

Shep tells everyone about his new beach house. Andy asks if he’s going out less, and he says he’ll hang out at the beach, but the bars close earlier. When he was in Charleston, he would invite everyone from the bars to his house rooftop after closing time. Andy moves on to Shep’s health issues, and Shep says that Charleston is a big drinking town. We see the clip of Shep in yoga class, where he declares it’s like a sobriety test. He says he didn’t know you weren’t supposed to talk in class. Andy thinks he was only scared straight for a short time. Cameran says he gets to an angry point when he drinks, and Craig thinks he’s really angry at himself. Kathryn agrees. Shep hates that he doesn’t have self-control, and hits the point where anything seems like a good idea. We see the clip from when Cameran found Shep sleeping at noon, the morning he was supposed to meet her. He says he was embarrassed, and it was tough to look at. He chose to be honest and open, and hopes to change a little.

Time for Kathryn to duck. Andy says she seems like a different person. She says she’s been sober for eight months, despite tabloid fodder to the contrary. They talk about the last reunion, which she describes as a constant panic attack. She explains how she ended up in rehab. She says she was critical of herself, and it drove her to self-medicate. She didn’t realize how cruel the world could be, and a lot of the dynamics that exist in relationship. Andy asks why she didn’t own up to failing a drug test. She tells him that it was supposed to be private, but someone leaked it to the press. Landon says she read it on the internet, and is tired of being called a liar. (What’s really funny here is, the spellcheck changed that to lawyer.) So I guess she’s the one who leaked it, and probably found out from Thomas. Andy says he thought he’d read it before the reunion, and Kathryn says that legally, no one should have known. Landon doesn’t understand what she might have ever said that was so bad about Kathryn, and Kathryn brings up her suggestion that she get shock treatment. Landon is like, oh yeah, that, and tries to justify it, but ends up apologizing.

Andy stirs the pot, asking Landon about implying that Kathryn was looking for a rich boyfriend when she went to rehab. Landon says she’s allowed an opinion. We go back to the last reunion, where Kathryn was accused of not taking a drug test, and Kathryn says that she always took one when required. They talk about the margarita she ordered on vacation (please), and Kathryn says she never even took a sip of it, and anyway, she was in rehab for weed. Having worked in the business end of Al-Anon, in that case, she’d be discouraged from drinking, but it wouldn’t be a no. Kathryn says she used marijuana to detach from reality, and chose to stop drinking to show her commitment.

They talk about the modeling shoot, and how Kensie didn’t want to leave Kathryn. Yeah, let’s make everyone cry. Kathryn says it broke her heart that she’d been so careless to make mistakes that hurt her children. She starts to cry, and Craig gives her a hanky. Okay, maybe there are more people than Dr. Phil who use them. Andy asks about Kathryn’s support system, and she says it’s difficult to trust people. Charleston is small, and everything gets around. She says she’d started to question everyone and everything. Landon starts to cry, not being able to imagine that, and saying that Kathryn must be lonely. Kathryn says she plays close to the vest because she can’t afford disloyalty. She says she wasn’t always like that, but had a friend who gave a distorted perception of her in court. No surprise, it’s Jennifer. The next pony to join the show.

Andy asks about Ascher, who is doing well. Jennifer explains about the surgery that he needed to put his brain back into his skull when he was born. Yikes. She says he shouldn’t have progressed as far as he ha, and that every few months, it gets easier and more fun. Andy asks why it bothered Kathryn when Thomas gave Jennifer a hanky (another hanky clip!), and Kathryn says she looked at it as switched loyalty. She thought Jennifer valued his friendship over hers. Thomas talks about having a brother with Downs Syndrome, and that people were coming down on Jennifer to have an abortion. Jennifer says Kathryn is incorrect, but Kathryn says she didn’t tell the truth about her in court. Andy asks if it was the custody hearing, and if she testified against Kathryn. Jennifer says she’s not saying anything, but told the truth. Kathryn talks about how they’d been friends, and she’d said what a great father Thomas was, but never said anything about her. Jennifer says that Kathryn’s lawyer should have questioned her further, but Kathryn says Jennifer had already lost her credibility. Jennifer suggests that Kathryn look in the mirror. She says that Kathryn had questioned her son’s paternity, and Kathryn says that she’d heard it from someone else, and just talked to one person. Jennifer insists that Kathryn knew what she was doing. Andy asks if Kathryn spread a rumor that Thomas was the father of Jennifer’s child.

Kathryn says it wasn’t about spreading a rumor. She didn’t know if it could have been true. They were romantic in the past, and she doesn’t know Jennifer’s life now. She says she repeated something she’s heard, and shouldn’t have. She apologizes, adding that Jennifer has talked about her. She says Thomas spent the night at Jennifer’s house while Kathryn was still with him. Thomas says he spent the night on the couch, and only left to show Kathryn what it was like, since she’d been staying out all night. He says he’s been protecting her, but if they go to court, she’ll never work in this town again. If she keeps going on, it’s not going to be pretty.

Next time, Part Two – among topics discussed are Shep drunk at the airport, and Landon flirting with Austen; Craig and Shep argue; Andy calls them both drunk a-holes; and Chelsea joins the group.

The Real Housewives of the OC

Lydia is back, and there’s a new girl named Peggy. The taglines are decent, and I think Kelly’s is my favorite – If I want your opinion, I’ll give it to you.

Shannon’s family has gotten a dog, Archie. Shannon says he wins the prize for misbehavior. It looks like he’s a Golden Retriever, so I identify. I had one that was incredibly sweet, but dumb as a box of rocks, and listened to nothing. Except the crinkle of a potato chip bag. Shannon is trying to lose weight, having gained thirty pounds, and not recognizing who she is anymore. She says stress over Vicki caused her to eat and drink more. Nice excuse! We see a clip of the last reunion, with Shannon screaming that her husband doesn’t beat her. It’s affected how she feels about herself, and she’s embarrassed of her body. She also thinks that David has been distant since the surprise vow renewal. She’s making quinoa, and feels badly when he doesn’t rave over it. My husband won’t even eat it.

Kelly visits Vicki at her office. The insurance company is expanding and moving to a bigger space. They talk about Tamra’s gym and the fitness competition she was in. Vicki hasn’t heard from her since Tamra accused her of being a con-artist and said she was old. Kelly agrees that Vicki wasn’t treated well, and thinks she’s owed an apology. She says they just want to fight. Vicki says that they’re not the popular girls, and they’re jealous. Kelly says she doesn’t care about popularity, but Vicki says she does. Funny. Both POVs are obvious.

Tamra says she’s closer to her faith after everything she’s gone through with Vicki. Lydia has invited her to Bible study, and she says it’s just what she’s looking for. Lydia asks if Tamra still hangs out with everyone. Tamra tells her that Heather is super busy, and she still hasn’t seen the inside of the new house. She hasn’t talked to Vicki since the reunion, but we already knew that. Lydia brings up the Mexico trip, and Tamra says it feels like forever ago. She says it got weird, and Vicki was spreading rumors that Eddie was gay. She says it’s not true, but still hurtful. Tamra says that Vicki also told Kelly, who’s another hot mess. She says Vicki doesn’t understand why she cares, since it’s just a rumor. Lydia thinks they should all go to lunch, but Tamra says she’ll pray about it. That’s Christianese for I’m blowing you off.

Meghan has a baby girl, Aspen. Aw, she’s all cranky, but Meghan gets a smile out of her. They also have a puppy, Girly Girl. Meghan says that after the baby was born, she just wanted to take a long nap, but couldn’t, and it’s been like that ever since. We go down Memory Lane with the IVF thing. She also lost her baby weight quickly, but her boobs are humongous. Jimmy is actually into taking care of the baby, which surprises Meghan – and me. He tells Meghan that shoes are stupid on a baby, but she says she wants to dress her like a doll. He has a point, but dressing them up is the fun part.

Lydia begins with prayer. They’re studying the story of Lazarus in John 11. She asks if anyone has ever felt abandoned by God. Tamra starts to tear up about the situation with her daughter. She says that she can only put it out of her mind for so long, but knows God has a plan for her and Sydney. She hasn’t seen her daughter in three and a half years, but says it’s getting better; they’re texting. Everyone agrees that it’s a glimmer of hope, and Lydia prays for them. Tamra is grateful for a safe place to put her feelings out there with other women of faith.

Vicki’s new boyfriend, Steve, brings her roses. She misses Brooks, and in her interview, says they had a great relationship despite what people think, but she’d never go back to that. She opens up some cocktail sauce and gets it all over Steve’s white shirt, which is why I never wear white. Steve is a retired detective, and Vicki says she always knows what he’s up to, as opposed to Brooks who was a sneak. They talk about everyone having baggage. Vicki says if he breaks her heart, she won’t forgive him. In her interview, she says she doesn’t want to waste any more time.

Kelly is getting ready to go to a birthday party, and discusses vaginal rejuvenation with her mom, Bobbi. She asks if her mother would be interested, and gets a no. She asks if her mom doesn’t want to date again, and Bobbi says she goes to Starbuck’s when she’s bored. She tells Kelly not to push her. In her interview, Kelly says she’s trying to work out her own relationship with husband Michael, but it feels like he’s attached to her at the hip. Kelly tells a dirty joke, and maybe I’m getting old too, because I had to think about it for a while before I got it.

Commercial break – The Real Housewives of Dallas returns Monday, August 14th @ 10 pm.

Vicki brings her grandsons back to Briana’s house. Vicki tells them that she’ll take them swimming tomorrow. Ryan is still in Oklahoma waiting on paperwork for his medical retirement. Briana feels guilty for leaving, and says it’s hard having toddlers with him being so far away. Vicki tries to pick up the slack and likes feeling needed. Everyone likes Steve, and Briana asks if they’re getting married. She says it’s nice to like her mother’s boyfriend for once – and he has a job and doesn’t hit on her. Vicki says she wants to make sure it’s right. Briana tells us that her life is farts and superheroes.

Tamra works out on the machines at the gym. Eddie joins her. He just came from teaching a class. Tamra says her relationship with him is great – when he’s not being gay. Ha-ha! She doesn’t like the mural in the workout room, but says Eddie has totally taken over, and now she just does the sh*it work. She tells Eddie about the Bible study, and how Lydia thinks she should have lunch with Vicki. Eddie isn’t too receptive to that. Tamra says when someone lies about their own life, they’ll lie about yours.

Lydia and her husband are teaching son Maverick to ride a bike. She tells him to believe in himself and practice. She has three boys now; Sterling and Roman round out the trio. She says it’s overwhelming and a lot of work. She can’t wait to see her kids, but then it’s bedlam the second she walks in the door, and she wants to run. They’ve moved to Newport Beach, so her mom isn’t across the street anymore. In her interview, Lydia explains that her mom is also on a new level with weed being legal now. They take Maverick to a park to practice, and we see pictures of their ten-year vow renewal. Maverick takes a spill, and his father asks him what a ninja warrior would do. Maverick gets back on and rides. Lydia says she’s a lot stronger now, knows who she is, and is happy with it.

Shannon and daughter Sophie are going shopping for Sophie’s formal. Tamra joins them with niece Casey, who’s also looking for a dress. In her interview, Tamra says it’s been hard not being able to shop with Sydney, and holidays aren’t the same. We hear that a million dresses are “cute,” and Shannon vetoes a revealing dress for Sophie.

While the girls are trying things on, Shannon talks to Tamra about losing weight. She says she hates exercising, and Tamra thinks she lacks motivation. Shannon blames the weight gain on Vicki, but in her interview, Tamra doesn’t think her stress is just about that. She thinks Shannon isn’t over the affair.

Lydia meets Vicki for lunch. Vicki says she’ll take Lydia over someone who wants to steal her joy. She points out that Tamra was baptized in the pool there. In her interview, Lydia calls herself the friendship whisperer, and says that she thinks she can bring everyone back together. Lydia tells Vicki that she reminded Tamra about their friendship on the Mexico trip, and says Tamra claims Vicki is going around saying that Eddie is gay. Vicki says Tamra called her a con-artist, and asks if you fight back or fold. Lydia thinks that they hurt one another because they love one another. Vicki says Tamra has her own secrets she doesn’t want found out, and wonders if Tamra hates her that much. Lydia realizes there’s a lot more going on than she thought. Vicki says she’s tired of them being bullies. They have to be nice to her or she’s not going to be nice.

Next time, Michael drives like a lunatic, we meet Peggy, and Shannon argues with Lydia. Hmm.. that seems to be a pattern with Shannon – arguing with the newest person.

🐮 Sweet Home Oklahoma is back! Tubbers! Pumps! Short interviews with random locals! I love this show so much. The cast is intrinsically funny, and seem genuinely good-hearted. I’m not a warm and fuzzy person, and this isn’t necessarily a warm and fuzzy show (except for Tubbers), but it’s one of the few reality shows that leaves you feeling good. In one of the back-to-back episodes tonight, Pumps won a meat eating contest and said she was “meat drunk.” I could understand this, since I visited a friend in Oklahoma once. I loved the atmosphere and the people, but everything was beef with a side of beef. Next time, the girls TP a house.

Fear the Walking Dead

Part One

Jake walks along a canyon, presumably on his way to talk to see Walker. He’s being watched. He hears the click of a gun and runs. He hides behind a tree, gets his gun ready, and turns to find Alicia. Alicia tells him about Vernon and Kathy, and how the entire family was killed. He says it’s even more urgent now. She says she wanted him to own it, but not this way. He says he’s not doing it for that reason, and she insists on going with him.

They see the tribal headquarters, otherwise known as the abandoned gas station. Jake and Alicia walk past the line of guards, and are stripped of their weapons. We see a bunch of people standing in a circle and dogs are barking. Walker steps out, with something wrapped in a bloody towel. Walker tells Jake that he’s hundreds of years late for talking, but just in time for lunch, plopping down the head of a pig that’s just been slaughtered. Of course, they’d wanted us to think it was a dog, and we did. I hate being manipulated like that.

Madison tells Nick that Alicia didn’t come home, and now she’s not in the camp. She asks him to go to Jake’s, but he tells her to leave Alicia alone. Jeremiah approaches, and says he knows Alicia and Jake are courting, which is I guess what we’re calling it now. Some of Jake’s stuff is gone, and so is he. Nick wonders where they should start looking, but Jeremiah says they don’t. He can’t spare a search party, and everyone has had enough right now. Nick and Jeremiah decide to train new recruits.

Sitting in the diner, Jake tells Walker that his father won’t abandon the ranch. He tells him that Russel is dead, and Walker says karma is overdue. Alicia says that the Trumball family is dead too, and he killed them. Walker asks if “this girl” is speaking for Jake, and adds three down, one to go. Jake says his father did nothing to warrant this, and he thought they had an understanding. Walker says he understood that when Jake came there with his drunken friends, he waited on him with a smile, but the day of the white man’s courts are over. They must vacate the land. Jake was hoping for a parlay, and to negotiate. Walker says maybe he’s right, if a parlay can spare blood They can talk after they eat.

Nick approaches Troy, wanting to sign up. Troy asks why join the militia, and Nick tells him that maybe he feels badly about what he’s done to cause any death. Troy suggests leaving before something worse happens, but Nick talks about getting Travis killed, and says he needs an occupation. He also wants to protect them from whoever killed the Trumball family; he saw those savages. Troy tells someone to get Nick outfitted.

Outside the diner, Ofelia tells Alicia that it’s a long story. Alicia says to tell her, and she’ll tell Ofelia how they almost died when she took the truck. Ofelia says, sorry; she thought they were safe. She says that she almost died after that, but Alicia doesn’t care. Ofelia says Walker found her, took her in, and they’re good people. Alicia says they killed a family two days ago, but Ofelia says there was nothing scheduled for then. Walker goes on all the raids, and he was with her.

Jake tells Alicia that they’re swapping people, and he’s staying; Walker guarantees his safety. Alicia says that she’ll stay. Jeremiah has to hear it from him. Walker asks if they have a parley, and Jake says it appears they do.

At the bunkhouse, Nick gives himself a haircut, and Madison asks if she has to worry. She wonders if he’s going back to back with Troy, and he says keep your enemies close. He tells her good luck, and leaves.

Ofelia comes back with Jake. Jake explains what happened, and Ofelia says she’s the hostage from Walker’s side. Jake promises they’ll get Alicia back. He wouldn’t have left her if he didn’t think she was safe. Madison asks Ofelia how long she was there. Ofelia says long enough to know Walker’s word is good. Madison says he wants them off the ranch, and asks if that has changed. Ofelia says only Jake would know.

Walker shows Alicia around, saying that they call themselves pony warriors even though they drive jeeps. Soon they’ll have their own air force. He points out that many of the people are ex-military. As he’s talking, Alicia tells him that she was on the helicopter. He says she’s lucky; they’d been hoping it was an auto. She tells him that he killed one of her family members. He says it’s good if she hates him; maybe she can understand if she magnifies the hate a thousand times. She says that she hates him for killing Travis – and thinking he knows how she feels. He’s nothing but a hypocrite.

There’s a meeting in Jeremiah’s office. Jake says they need blood, and are willing to take it from them. Jeremiah says let them come. Jake suggests letting them share the water. Jeremiah doesn’t think it will satisfy Walker; he’ll want everything. Jake says they need to meet him halfway, but Jeremiah says he’d rather die. Madison says what about Alicia, and Jeremiah says she made her own decision. Jake says he trusts Walker. Madison is an outsider, and needs faith.

When the others leave, Madison asks Jeremiah what he’s going to do. He tells her that he’s going to listen to Jake. He doesn’t think that Walker is to be trusted though.

Walker has taken Alicia to a trailer that houses relics. Alicia looks at a bunch of weird stuff. She sees a skeleton, and Walker says it’s papier-mâché, but it fooled a lot of vacationers. He brings down a chest, and says this isn’t for tourists; this is real. He shows her his great grandfather’s bones. Alicia asks if they shouldn’t be buried, and he says that they were, in a cave. He desecrated his great-grandfather’s grave to save him from travelers and construction. He hopes his great-grandfather forgives him one day. Alicia says the idea of an afterlife doesn’t make sense; it’s hard to get out of this one. Walker says it’s part of a grand plan that had taken place long before the dead walked. He asks if she knows what apocalypse means. When she tells him the end of the world, he says no, it means a great unveiling. He tells her that he kept seeing a theme in the caves; pictures of a new age, a land that will be pure. He says it’s been a long struggle, but after the apocalypse, all will be returned to them – the first humans.

Troy thinks Ofelia is either lying or stupid. Madison says not stupid, but she needs to be on the winning side. Troy says Madison has a connection with her, but Madison says she thinks Ofelia is for herself. She’s with Walker for a reason. Madison tells him that she needs to get Alicia out, and suggests they get a few guys, and slip her out. She says that Troy owes her. She could have brought the whole ranch down on his head. Truth!

Alicia goes out to get water. While she’s walking back, someone follows behind her.

Jeremiah visits Ofelia, and tells her that he thinks they should have a chat, but she says she has nothing to say. He says it’s good that Walker found her, and she’s not dead; at least if the negotiation works, it’s good. She asks what he wants. He says he’s been thinking strange thoughts about ghosts. He talks about your sins not being the thing that holds you in limbo, and the worst of the somehow carrying your sins. Ofelia asks again what he wants. He tells her that nobody wants war, and not to complicate matters with old business. He says that’s fair and asks if she thinks so. Ofelia doesn’t answer, but he asks a second time, and I guess she figures that if she doesn’t agree, she’ll never get out of this stupid conversation, so she says it is. He tells her that he’ll have someone bring food, even though she says she’s not hungry.

Alicia slops the pigs. In the middle of the night? Troy grabs her, and she sees the others with him. She says they’ll get everyone killed. Two of the soldiers are holding a guard, and Alicia says that if they kill him, she’s not leaving. Troy doesn’t care what she thinks. The guard tries to run, and gets stabbed for his trouble. The soldiers start to drag him away, and a dog barks.

Watching from the top of a hill, Nick tells Madison that someone is coming, and they’re not going to make it. They have to bring the truck down. By now, Walker’s people realize something is going on, and are starting to come out. A guy throws Nick to the ground, and is about to stab him, when Troy shoots him (shoots the guy, not Nick). All hell is breaking loose, with shooting and people running everywhere. Troy tosses Alicia into the truck, and Madison drives away with her. Well, this isn’t going to be good.

When they get back, Jake says congratulations, they just declared war. Troy says they were successful in getting Alicia back, and Alicia can’t believe it was Madison’s idea. Jake says he’d made a deal, and Madison tells him that he was played. There was nothing at stake except Alicia’s life. Jeremiah tells her that Jake had made the call, and them that don’t listen have to be brought to heel someday. Does this guy ever say anything that doesn’t sound like a combination of Yoda and a crazy person?

Jake has filled the truck bed with water bottles. Troy asks if their dad knows what he’s doing, and Jake says he’s drunk. Jake thought Jeremiah would be happy. He’d gone to Walker himself and set everything up. Troy asks what kind of a death wish he has, and suggests that only his scalp will be returning. Jake says that he’s going to give them the water. Troy doesn’t think he’s coming back, and that he should ask himself if that would make him happier.

Ofelia takes Alicia off to the side, and says she shouldn’t stay there. Alicia asks what she knows. Ofelia tells Alicia to come with her, it’s all she can offer. Alicia says that she has to stay. Ofelia says that she’s sorry about Travis.

When he gets to the Black Hat, Jake gets the snot beat out of him. Walker tells him that he broke the parlay, but Jake says that Madison and Troy broke it. He’s brought Ofelia and water. Walker takes out a knife, pulling Jake’s head back. Jake says that there will be peace, and Walker says that there will be, but not now. Ofelia stops Walker from killing Jake. Walker says he’ll finish the scalping of the oldest son, when he sees him next. He’ll feed the youngest son to the hogs, and the father will remain alive to watch, before they burn him alive. Where is the freaking boom person whenever Walker talks?

A motorcycle comes to the ranch gate. Ofelia is dropped off. She tells Madison that all she knows is she’s lost her home and the people who took her in. Madison says shouldn’t have left them in the first place. Jeremiah tells them to take Ofelia to the infirmary.

Troy says they’ll press for attack. He says he can get more information from Ofelia, but Jeremiah says no. Madison says they shouldn’t have let her go back, and Jeremiah says to watch her.

Madison says that Ofelia can stay with her and Alicia. Ofelia asks if she’s a prisoner, and Madison tells her that they’re all prisoners of someplace. Ofelia says that there are no walls for Walker’s people because he says you can’t sneak up on an Indian. She says Alicia was never in trouble, but she had a taste of freedom, and now it’s gone.

Troy and the guys talk. Nick asks what if Walker attacks while they’re on their perimeter. Troy says there are only two roads, and they’ll be on both of them. They’ll leave a suicide note (translation: a suicide squad), and the rest will run back and defend the castle ranch. Nick says if that happens, he’ll volunteer to be up front – he’s suicide proof. Troy thinks they should go kamikaze another day. For now, they’re staying behind the fence.

Alicia asks Madison how she can be sure it was Walker who killed the Trumballs?

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the horses are restless. Soldier Joe says he doesn’t like it. The guy next to him tells him to stay frosty, but dude doesn’t feel right, then doubles over in pain. Someone else starts throwing up, and suddenly, soldiers are dropping like flies. Alicia and Madison hear them yelling, and run outside. Ofelia watches from the bunkhouse.

The guards start to turn into zombies. Nice. Everyone is running around, and Nick joins the fray. A soldier tells people to get back inside. Zombies are attacking and being attacked. Madison comes out shooting. Ofelia comes out, and Nick calls to her, but she runs. Nick starts to chase her, but then gets sick. Madison takes up the chase. It looks like Ofelia is aiming to steal another truck.

Part Two

In the desert, Ofelia sees a hole in the fence and goes through. Someone starts shooting at her. She scrambles down a hill, and hides behind a tree. She takes out a knife, and blesses herself. Jeremiah comes around the other side of the tree, and holds out his hand. She gives him the knife, and he tells her welcome to America.

She tells Jeremiah that she was headed to Santa Fe where her fiancé is. Jeremiah tells her she’s free to go, and gives her some water. He says to go from whence she came, find shade, and travel by starlight. She wants a ride, but he says he has to go back, and there’s no use for brown people on the ranch. She spits at him, and he tells her enjoy the walk, and speeds away.

Ofelia walks until she drops. She gets up, leaving her backpack. She starts taking her clothes off, and sees her father. She says the earth will protect her, and starts to dig. Daniel tells her no, she has to stay awake. She reaches for him, but he’s not there.

Eventually, Walker comes by. He checks Ofelia’s pulse, and gives her water. He puts her on his horse.

Walker brings Ofelia to the reservation, and takes her to the Black Hat Motel. He puts her in a tub and bathes her. When she comes out, he gives her some soup. They introduce themselves, and Walker tells her to rest

Back in the present, Madison runs after Ofelia. She gets in a truck and finds the keys in under the visor. Madison busts the driver’s window, and pulls her back out.

Troy and the others attend to whoever is still alive at the ranch. A soldier turns, and Jeremiah shoots him. Madison tells them that Ofelia put powder in the coffee, but doesn’t know what kind. Jake says they have antibiotics, but without knowing what it is, it’s hard to treat. Madison says to keep Nick alive, and leaves.

Madison holds a gun on Ofelia as Ofelia drives. Ofelia tells Madison that it was just supposed to make them sick. She insists her people wouldn’t do such a thing. Madison says they used to be her people. Nick was her friend, and now he might die; does she care? Ofelia says the Nation is her family now, and Madison says they’ll see about that. They drive to the motel. Madison wants to talk to Walker. A guard says he’s in the diner, and Madison drags Ofelia inside.

Madison says that Walker killed her husband, and now the ranch. He says they broke the parlay, but she says no, she did. She doesn’t give a flying about anything except her son. She wants to know what’s killing him. Walker says that it’s anthrax, cultivated from animal hides, and there’s no cure. He gets up, telling his guards to put down their weapons. He says that this woman is more of a man than Jake or any of his relatives, and she’s free to leave. I’m like, all right, Walker! He asks how old Madison’s son is, and she says nineteen. He tells her that if he’s strong, he’ll live. He says that his fight isn’t with her, and suggests she take her family and leave.  She says they’ve fought too hard, and lost too much; they’re not running anymore. Walker says they’ll die then.

Zombies amble around. Victor enters what used to be a restaurant. The food in the refrigerated case is rotten. He sees a boat just offshore, and says, hello, angel. He goes down to the water, and walks out. It’s the Abigail. He boards the yacht, and sees the undead crew stumbling around, making zombie noises. He halts a guest with an arrow to the head, and stabs the captain. He shoots more guests and crew with a handgun. He thinks he’s done.

In the infirmary, Nick throws up again. Alicia tells him, morning, sunshine, and he says it’s like old times. Madison them that it’s anthrax. Those who survive will be too weak to hold a gun. Jake tells one of the soldiers to get what’s left of militia. Madison says that’s a bad idea, and Jake says she’s not the leader. Nyah-nyah! Nick tells her that she’s still the life of the party.

Jake says that Madison is right. Alicia suggests he talk to Walker, and he says talk is cheap without anything to barter with; they have no leverage. Alicia knows where they can get some.

Victor picks up a bottle of Dom Perignon. He goes to the wheelhouse, and messes with the controls. He puts on a white jacket, and pops open the bottle, saying it’s good to be home.

Nick tells Jake that he’s feeling better, and asks to be uncuffed. He thinks someone else might need the bed more, like Jake. He tells Jake that he’s sick, but Jake says they need him. Nick says either way, if they’re attacked, he’s not going to be able to help, so please let him up. Jake undoes the cuffs, and Nick asks him where Jeremiah is. Jake says that his dad can’t help. He’s burning the dead. He’ll only disappoint Nick. The hell they’re in is all because of him.

Nick goes to the new old house and takes out a hammer. He starts ripping up the floorboards.

Ofelia knocks at Walker’s door. She says the Clarks took her in, and she cared about them. He says she volunteered for what she did, and saved the entire Nation. He says when he found her, he almost passed her for dead, but his horse sensed her spirit. She says smart horse, and he tells her smarter than him. She faced death, and wasn’t afraid, that’s why he brought her here. She says he saved her life, and he tells her that the debt is paid. They hear people outside and run out.

Fires are starting. Madison and Alicia watch from the truck. Tents are burning, and what’s left of the militia starts to shoot. Madison attaches the relic trailer to the truck, and starts to move. Troy jumps on.

Nick is digging under the floor. He finds Jeremiah in another room, drinking. Nick says Jeremiah shot up the floor and said it had blood in it. Jeremiah says he’s been known to wax metaphoric while in his cups. Nick holds up a skull, asking who it is. Jeremiah says it’s a long story, but Nick wants to know. Jeremiah tells him that when Jake and Troy were little, the local tribe decided that the ranch belonged to them – it was sacred land or some BS – even though it had been sold to them fair and square. He had a frightened family at home, so the founders killed the leaders. One was Walker’s uncle. Nick asks if it’s his skull, and Jeremiah says no, that’s Walker’s father. He’d come by to see what happened to his brother. Nick says when they were working, he just thought Jeremiah was some wise-ass cowboy. Jeremiah says that Nick is a guest, and he needs to get right with the past, or get off the land. Nick says that it’s their land, but Jeremiah says it belongs to whoever holds it, and it was given up for beer money. Nick tells him that they’ll see who can old the land – they’re coming.

Walker’s trucks surround the ranch. Troy comes back with the relics trailer. He and Madison say that it’s leverage. Nick says Walker values them, and Jeremiah says that Nick might not like his hospitality, but he’ll like it better then Walker’s.

Alicia says they’re on the wrong side. Nick says he gets that Madison wants to protect them, but there has to be a line. Nick tells them that Troy killed the Trumballs. Alicia says that Madison knew, and covered for him. Madison says that she doesn’t understand. Alicia says that Madison is just like them; she’s worse because she has no feelings. No wonder her father was depressed. Madison says she’d love to indulge herself, but doesn’t have time for feelings. They have no idea what she carries.

As Victor snoozes, the radio comes to life. He says hello, and a voice comes through. It’s from overseas, a man who was a cosmonaut (a nod to Z Nation?), and Victor asks if they know what’s happened in America. He finds out that the zombies are everywhere. The man says he speaks from his grave, and Victor says he’s sorry at least he got to go to space – no one else will have the opportunity. The man says he’d give it up for water, and Victor says how about champagne? They talk, and laugh a little, and once again, the boom person was absent that day. The man asks about the champagne, and Victor describes it. The connection is starting to break up, and the man tells Victor that the world turns. Victor says the world is dead, but the man tells him not until he dies, and not to give up. The connection is gone, and Victor says, das vidania.

Madison meets Walker. She says the artifacts are unharmed. He wants to know why she’s thrown in with trash, and she says you can’t always choose your people. She tells him they can end this, and live in peace. He says that this is their land, soaked in Indian blood, the time for peace is over. She says that she heard about his fight with the Ottos, and says she understands this is his father. She holds out the skull, but he says it’s not enough. This isn’t his father, but an old white man’s shame.

Madison comes back to the ranch, and says that Walker doesn’t care about relics; he wants the ranch. They have until sundown to clear out or die.

Victor roots around the boat, and gathers supplies together. More liquor! But instead of drinking it, this time he pours it all over, and sets it on fire. He puts on aviator sunglasses, and the flames look awesome in the lenses. He goes back to shore. The boat burns on the water.

Madison comes back to the bunkhouse. She says that Alicia and Nick have never been to Montgomery, and Alicia says she never took them, not even for her grandmother’s funeral. Madison says there was a local council man who lived there, and he had a beautiful wife and little girl. Everyone loved her daddy because he knew everyone’s names and all of their occasions; he knew when to burn the ballot boxes and which ones to burn, but what he didn’t know was when to turn down a drink. So life was hard for the little girl, and harder for her mother. As the little girl grew, she got tired of crying and seeing her mother get hurt. One morning, she ate her cereal, and brushed her teeth for school. She took the gun from her daddy’s dresser, and shot him while he slept off the night before. Nick and Alicia are like, whoa.

Madison says her mother looked at her then, like they’re looking now, but she’d do it again. She’d do it a thousand times to protect her – protect them. She’s going to convince an old man to set aside his pride and make peace with the enemy. Now I’m looking at her like that.

Madison visits Jeremiah. He says he’s going Alamo, last line of defense. He built the house as a hold out. He has supplies and weapons in the basement, and they’re welcome to join him if it comes to it. He offers her a drink, and thanks her for standing by his boys, by Troy, for trying to stop what’s coming. They clink glasses. Madison says she told Jake they couldn’t come to an agreement; there’s only one way to secure peace. Jeremiah says they want his scalp, and asks if she’s there to kill him after he took her in. He continues to list all the things he’s done for her and her family. She puts the gun on the desk, and says she’s not going to kill him for those reasons, and is tired of disappointing her kids. So he’s going to do it.

Jeremiah says he’s not going to die like some rabbit with no resistance. Madison says they’re surrounded by firepower. If he doesn’t do it, everyone dies. It’s his chance to make things up to his sons. He says the hell with them – one is a feckless crybaby, and the other, a chip off the old block. She tells him that her kids aren’t dying because some selfish old prick is afraid to do what’s right. He says go ahead and kill him then, because some selfish old prick did what needed to be done.

Nick walks in, and Jeremiah says, don’t nobody knock? having a valid point. He asks Nick if he knows why his mother came by, and starts to say, she’s just like – Madison raises the gun, but Nick shoots Jeremiah before she has a chance to do it.

Madison tells Nick to do exactly as she says. We see him running from the scene. Troy and Jake come into Jeremiah’s office. Jeremiah is slumped at his desk, while Madison sits in a nearby chair. The brothers take Jeremiah’s body out and put it into the truck. The truck drives away, as Nick, Madison, and Alicia watch from the balcony.

Madison meets Walker on the road, and sets down a backpack. He opens it. It’s Jeremiah’s head. Or so we assume, since for some reason, they decided to not gross us out and we just got a glimpse. Walker nods, and walks away carrying the backpack. Madison walks in the opposite direction.

This was the mid-season finale (please, who invented such a thing?), so there was no preview.

✈ Okay, I am slightly obsessed with 90 Day Fiancé, but it’s just so weird. I mean the coupling is weird. Maybe because the show should really be called How to Get a Green Card in 90 Days. I’m not saying all of the couples are together for that reason, but I think the ratio is heavily on that side. We have Jorge and Anfisa, who has been pretty blatant about the fact that she wanted to marry him for a free ride. The first one I saw revolved around Mohamad and Danielle, which I’ve I’ve already discussed. There is clearly something wrong with Danielle, who keeps going back and forth about whether to get a divorce or an annulment, the latter leaving Mohamad open to deportation. She goes back every time he says, come on, let’s still be friends, and forth when she realizes she’s been had again. I said it before, but being even more blatant, a guy who looks like that would not be interested in her. He’s no Marc Singer, but she’s pretty close to pre-makeover Susan Boyle. Not sayin’ it never happens, but just sayin’. Then there’s Pedro and Chantal. I don’t know how much he cares about the green card thing, but I don’t see him getting a job, and he seems to send an awful lot of her money back to his mother in wherever-the-blip they’re from. His mother is a real piece of work too, calling Chantal’s family stupid and crazy because they’re concerned about their daughter. I get that every mother thinks her son is wonderful, but she’s waaay out of line, and might consider shutting her mouth since she’s a total grifter. It was pretty funny when Chantal got Pedro to try sushi though. Next, we have Pao, a party girl who thinks she’s going to be a model and make tons of money, and Russ, who is a patient-as-hell, somewhat conservative dude from Oklahoma. At present, Pao is in Miami, hanging out with her best gay pal, while Russ is trying to sell their Oklahoma home. Russ came down for a visit, and the friend relentlessly bashed him in Spanish, with Pao translating. I hope he dumps her sorry ass before she gets her card. At least Anfisa is honest about wanting Jorge to be her meal ticket. Last, and I think the couple most likely to succeed, are Loren and Alex, who met in Israel, and are talking about moving his parents to the US. Despite some altercations, that are mostly due to her keeping things from him, they seem the most genuine. I think that’s all of them. If not, it’s enough.

🏛 The Real Housewives of Potomac had part one of their reunion tonight. Of course the main thing is what they wore and how they looked, and I can’t say I have much criticism here. Some of the dresses bordered on bridesmaids-ish (I’m talking to you Karen and Robyn), and there was one that could have doubled for prom (Monique), but not necessarily in a bad way – they were still beautiful. Huge earrings abounded, and everyone sported new hairstyles, all of them lovely. That being said, same Potomac, different day, just more confined. One of the things I always hate about reunions is the same thing I hate about litigants on court shows. Aside from the blatant lying, making faces is incredibly unattractive unless you’re five years old. And all of these women are the Grand Dames of face-making. Part one is always just the warm-up anyway. It looks like a few sparks will fly when the husbands are trotted out.

General Hospital

Nina tells Amy and Nathan that Man Landers is a labor of love. She says that it’s wonderful what Amy is doing for her brother, but Amy says it wouldn’t be possible without Nina’s brother. Nina says that’s why she’s going to make sure no one ever finds out their secret. Unexpectedly, Nelle shows up at Crimson. Nina flies out to meet her before she can come into her private office.

Everyone agrees not to tell Olivia that her picture is in the paper. She’s grasping the jail cell bars in her tiara and feather boa. Hmm… Who took that? As far as I know, only two other people were there, Dante and the nameless new cop.

Olivia tells Laura and the girls that she can explain what happened last night. Laura acts ignorant, and Olivia tells them about mistaking the fireman for a stripper in her inebriated state. She may have gotten aggressive, and he got offended and had her arrested. They all act like they don’t know anything. Monica says that Cook is all over social media, and never mentioned it. Olivia thinks no one knows.

Carly wishes that Josslyn would go to Olivia’s wedding, but she doesn’t want to go with Carly and Sonny. She says she’ll act civil, but that doesn’t mean she approves. Oscar texts, asking if Josslyn’s grandmother is home, and Josslyn says that Bobbie is working. The doorbell rings, and Josslyn answers. It’s Sonny.

Laura makes light of Olivia’s “mistake,” saying that the fireman had no sense of humor. I agree. Kiki can’t wait to see the dress, and Olivia says it should have been there by now.

Dante says there will be hell to pay when Olivia finds out. Charlotte wonders why they need to keep it a secret, so they make something up. Dillon asks if Michael’s parents know that Nelle is coming, and he says he doesn’t run his dates past them. Lulu says she’s happy for him, and Charlotte wonders who wouldn’t be? Boy, that kid has a lot to learn.

Nina says that Nelle should be getting ready, but Nelle wanted to drop by some paperwork, and says she’s already wearing her best dress. Nina says it’s definitely appropriate, but say hello to designer samples. She’s going to blow Michael’s mind.

Sonny asks how Josslyn is doing. She says she’s grounded, and can’t move in with her dad, who also can’t come back to this country, but other than that, life is perfect. Sonny says she has every right to be angry – he did it because he was angry. He was trying to come to terms with losing Morgan, and then her mother. It doesn’t excuse anything, but he feels badly, and hopes she can forgive him one day. Sonny promises he’ll be good to her and her mother, but Josslyn tells him that’s what he always says. He tells her that he’ll just have to prove it.

Carly, who was listening, comes out. She tells Josslyn that Avery is being dropped off. She says since Bobbie is working, they’re trusting her. Josslyn says she’s told her that ten times already, and Carly says that things will get better. Josslyn hopes so, but when Carly says I love you, she just says good by.

Dillon gives Ned a gift from his mother. Ned says she must be embracing his marriage.

Nathan talks to Maxie on the phone, telling her that he’s just catching up with Nina, and trying to keep her mind off Valentin. After he hangs up, Amy says she doesn’t think they should do this anymore. He’s lying to his wife because of her.

Nelle comes out in a fabulous red bodycon dress. She thanks Nina. Nina says it’s her pleasure to help dress her, and for a couple of seconds, she forgot about Valentin.

Olivia says the wedding is off. They promised the dress would be there in time. Laura asks where it was coming from, and Kiki asks if there’s a tracking number. Lulu calls the bridal store, and while Kiki is looking at her tablet, Olivia sees the tabloid article. Lulu tells them that the van broke down three hours away. Olivia can’t read the tagline on the article, and Kiki tells her that it says over 5000 people have seen the story; have you?

Monica tells Nina there’s a fashion emergency.

Tracy’s gift is champagne glasses with the couple’s initials on them. Dillon says leave it to their mother to put the Quartermaine stamp on everything. A note says she’s there in spirit, and wishes them well. She’s thrilled that Ned and Olivia are making a life together. She’s also reserved a bottle of the restaurant’s best champagne for their toast. Ned thinks she’s happy for him, but Dillon says there’s another card for Olivia. Dante says that everything seems to be working out – or maybe not. Lulu texts him, saying SOS Olivia saw the article.

Laura tries to brush the whole thing off, but Olivia says she looks like a lunatic. She’s brought shame to the Quartermaine family, and she isn’t even one of them yet. Laura says the Quartermaines have done a lot worse, but Olivia thinks it’s a sign. She says that all of Ned’s marriages have ended in divorce, and how many marriages in this room have lasted? Lulu says she married Dante twice, so technically…

Ned knocks at the door. He says he knows everything, and wants to talk to Olivia. He promises to keep his back turned, so they don’t see one another. Olivia says it doesn’t matter; the wedding is off.

Oscar texts Josslyn that if no one is at home, no one will know if she goes out with him. If there’s an emergency, the baby upstairs might have something to say about it. Well, the baby would probably just say, waaah! but Carly will have something to say for sure.

At the wedding venue, Sonny and Carly make sweet talk. He tells her how great she is, and she wishes Josslyn shared his opinion, but Sonny gets it. Carly says she knows Josslyn needs time, and he asks her not to worry – it’s their first night out in months.

Michael sees Nelle, and says wow, telling her how wonderful she looks. She says she had a lot of help. They walk in. Carly says, hell no.

Olivia tells Ned that Tracy already doesn’t think she’s good enough. Ned says that’s not true. Olivia says she might as well get married in the boa, the tiara, and her underwear, so everyone will recognize her. Ned doesn’t care what she wears; she’d still be beautiful. He tells her that everything will be okay, and she asks what about her dress?

Monica walks in with a garment bag, explaining that she spoke to Nina, who had the perfect dress that just happens to be in Olivia’s size. This would never, ever happen IRL. Olivia pushes Ned away, and says she has to get ready.

Nathan tells Amy that he’ll explain everything to Maxie face to face. She’s a better person than Amy realizes, and will totally understand. Nina says she forgot how good it feels to help someone, and it’s lifted her mood. Nathan says ditto – he’d just be at home missing Maxie.

The girls explain the borrowed-and-blue tradition to Charlotte. Lulu has the old – Connie’s earrings. She explains that Connie knew Olivia loved them, and gave them to Dante for safe-keeping. Charlotte says she’s the something new, and Olivia says she’s the best new that she can imagine. Laura gives her a borrowed hanky. (A hanky seems to be a bridal requirement as well, even though, with the exception of Dr. Phil, no one has used one since 1970.) Kiki tells Olivia to hold out her leg, and puts on a blue garter. Charlotte wonders what that’s about, and Monica tells her that she’ll see at the reception. Olivia starts to sound like ex-Countess Luann de Lesseps, repeating that she’s getting married over and over.

Carly says that she didn’t expect to see Michael with Nelle. Michael tells her that they’re dating, and she asks if this is phase three of Nelle’s revenge plan. Michael says he’s respected Carly’s choices, and expects her to do the same for him. Sonny says the difference is that Nelle did damage on purpose. Nelle says she was wrong, she knows it, and hopes one day to make amends. She and Michael go to the bar. Carly says she’ll hurt him, and Sonny says Michael will deal with it, and the last thing Carly wants to do is interfere.

Oscar waits on the footbridge with flowers. He gives them to Josslyn, and says he picked them close by. Josslyn thanks him. She says she loves summer – the sounds, the smells, and no school.

While waiting for the ceremony to begin, Sonny tells Carly to think of the good – they’re together. They kiss. Laura joins them, and asks if they’re back together. Sonny says yes, and Laura congratulates them. The music begins, and the attendants come down the aisle. Okay, little Leo is pretty cute. Next, Dante walks Olivia down the aisle. Of course the dress fits her perfectly, and is amazing; standard white with a lace overlay, and strapless with a ruffled mermaid hem. The ceremony begins.

Olivia says that Ned was never the man of her dreams, because he was better than any man she’d ever dreamed of. She lists his good qualities, including how patient he was waiting for her to come around. She’s marrying him with her heart wide open, no doubts or hesitations. She says she’ll love him forever. Ned says he has something different in mind. Is he going to sing?

Nina tells Nathan that it’s not the same thing. His wife is coming back, while she has to move on; Valentin is never coming back. Amy says at least she has someone to move on from. She works, takes care of Chet, and dispenses advice. Nathan suggests she do something she enjoys. Get involved in something she believes in. He says it’s when people are at their most attractive. That’s actually pretty interesting.

Josslyn and Oscar look at the view. He says it’s different at night, and she says it’s like they’re the only two in the world, and can get away from everything. He asks how it’s going, and she says doesn’t want to bore him. She asks about his drama, and he says sometimes it’s hard with his mom and him. Josslyn asks where his dad is, but Oscar never met him. Josslyn says maybe she is lucky. She has two dads, one good and one bad, plus she has two brothers – had two brothers. Now she just has one.

Yep, Eddie Maine broke out the microphone. Ned serenades Olivia. Olivia says she’ll love him forever, and they do the I do’s. Doo-be-doo-be-do. The rings are exchanged, and they become husband and wife. The small crowd cheers. Don’t they have any more friends than this? It looks like about 15 people – maybe.

Nina says she thinks Nathan likes giving advice.

Pictures are taken at the wedding, Michael kisses Nelle, Carly stews about it, and Sonny suggests that they just be happy for Ned and Olivia. He wonders if they should renew their own vows, and Carly says she’d like that – as soon as Josslyn is okay with them. I’m thinking that’s like one of my favorite New Yorker cartoons. Never? Is never good for you?

Josslyn says she didn’t mean to get emotional about Morgan, but the night reminds her of how he taught her to catch lightning bugs in a jar. She loved watching them, and didn’t want to fall asleep. Now she doesn’t want to sleep, because when she does, she dreams everything is okay, and then wakes up. Oscar says it feels like all his mom does is tell him what he can’t do, and not what he can.

Olivia says that Ned has always surprised her. He tells her that it’s not over. Fireworks begin.

Josslyn and Oscar watch them too. Oscar asks where Josslyn thinks they’re coming from, and she says maybe the MetroCourt. Oscar compares them to fireflies.

Everyone comes out to watch the display. Olivia says, and it’s not even the Fourth; it’s just for us.

On Monday, the reception happens, Dante dances with Charlotte, and Josslyn is found out.

🏛 I’d never deny that I love my court shows, and People’s Court will forever be my favorite. At least as long as Judge Marilyn Millian sits on the bench. She’s smart and knows her stuff, but also seems to have a genuine interest in the litigants, and cares about them as people. And when she feels a judgement is unfair, although she has to abide by the law, she makes sure her opinion is known. I like Judge Judy, but wow, she doesn’t want to hear anything about your life; she just wants to get to lunch. We do agree most of the time on the outcome, but there have been a few times when she can’t fathom a situation, and I’m like, no, that can really happen. There are several other adjudicators I enjoy, but continue to wonder what happened to Judge Joe Brown. I loved how he would just tack something on to the penalty if he didn’t like a litigant’s behavior. Cursing was usually a no, to the tune of one hundred dollars a curse going to the opposing side. For some bizarre reason, he also reminds me of Bing Crosby. Maybe it’s the Southern gentleman thing. Although I’ve been on board with court programs since People’s Court began (and even remember Divorce Court with reenactors), now I can revel a whole court channel, albeit with mostly lesser personalities, Gloria Allred being probably the only one widely known. I’m not crazy about her show though. While I’ve never been a huge fan of hers – I feel the same about Nancy Grace; I go back and forth, depending on the circumstances – I can’t help thinking she’s better than hearing cases about cellphones and non-literal backstabbing. Since I’ve been avoiding the network news lately, Judge Faith (Jenkins, a one-time NYC prosecutor) has been on my watch list, and I’m starting to like her a lot. Like Judge Marilyn, she shows a sincere concern for the people before her, and never makes them feel like they’re on an assembly line. I still wouldn’t want to be on her bad side though.

General Hospital

Olivia-F brings food to Ned, Dillon, Michael, and Dante, who are getting ready for Ned’s bachelor party. She wants them to be well-fed before the wedding tomorrow. Olivia says she’s not interested in having a bachelorette party, but Laura and Lulu show up with feather boas and a tiara, surprising her.

Curtis tells Aunt Stella she has to accept his relationship with Jordan. Jordan asks if they can make something work for TJ’s sake. Stella suddenly collapses.

Josslyn texts Australia here I come to Oscar. He says he’s going to miss her. Carly tells her that they have to talk, but Josslyn says she has to pack. Carly says they have to talk about her father.

At the hospital, Jason asks Elizabeth if she’s seen Sam. He was supposed to pick her up, but she left.

That’s because she went to Pozzulo’s. Sonny tells her Jason left, but she says she’s there to see him and give him a gift. She stabs him repeatedly with a surgical scalpel, and he stumbles back and drops to the floor.

Laura tells Olivia that they’re taking charge, and Lulu says she made the executive decision to have a party. Olivia says she wasn’t planning on doing anything crazy; she doesn’t want to jeopardize the wedding mojo. Laura says it’s not going to be anything crazy, just dinner at the MetroCourt, but hints that a stripper might be at The Haunted Star later. Ned tells her to go and have a good time.

Jordan thinks Stella had a stroke.

Josslyn tells Carly that nothing will change her mind. Carly is sorry for the upheaval and understands, but she can’t move in with Jax. Josslyn says it’s not up to her alone, since there’s joint custody. Carly says that Jax isn’t going to be in Australia for six months, because he has business in Abu Dhabi. Josslyn thinks Carly interfered, and Carly tells her to ask him herself.

Elizabeth asks Jason if Sam is okay. He says since Scout was born, she’s been running a little ragged, and Elizabeth tells him that’s normal. When she gets back on a regular sleep schedule, she’ll be good as new.

Sonny says Sam’s name. The stabbing was all in her head, although she is holding the scalpel.

The guys play poker. Dillon breaks out some Cuban cigars. Ned says it’s a non-smoking hotel, but Dillon says what good is a bachelor party without cigars? Ned doesn’t want to annoy Olivia, so Dillon ditches the cigars.

At the MetroCourt, Olivia asks if this is all necessary. Laura says it is, and tells her to have a martini. She says tonight is the night for Olivia to get the five-star treatment. Olivia doesn’t want to risk being hungover, and thinks she should take it easy. Laura says she’s been responsible her whole life, and she should take a night off. Olivia decides what’s one night?

Ned asks for help with a surprise for tomorrow, but instead a fire starts in the trashcan, no doubt from the cigar that Dillon thought was out.

On the phone, Josslyn tells Jax she understands. Carly says she can’t say she’s sorry that Josslyn has to stay, but knows she wanted to be with her father. She understands why Josslyn is upset, but she’s not the bad guy. Josslyn says that Sonny is. She says the reason Jax had to invest elsewhere is because he can’t do business in the US. Carly says it’s complicated, but Josslyn says she’s condoning it by being with him, and asks her to explain it. Carly gets an emergency call from the hotel. She tells Josslyn she loves her, and they’ll talk about it tomorrow.

Sam says that since Jason got a text from Sonny, she figured he’d be there. Sonny says he told Jason that it wasn’t important. She says when Sonny says jump, Jason asks how high. Sonny tells her that he’s always done right be her and her family. Sam suggests if he wants to do right by them, to leave them alone and stay as far away as possible.

Carly and a fireman come up to Ned’s room. The fireman tells the guys to be more careful. He goes off to check the other rooms as a safety measure. Ned apologizes, thinking it was going to be a quiet bachelor party. Carly tells him there’s no such thing, and says to take it easy on the room. Dante says they dodged a bullet; it could have been his mother.

Laura has to make some calls, and when she’s gone, Olivia downs martini’s like a pro. By the time Laura gets back to the table, Olivia is already drunk. Laura says that she was only gone for fifteen minutes, and asks if Olivia has eaten today. Olivia says the dress isn’t going to fit itself. She thought about tomorrow, and how much she hates public speaking, and supposed she should get a head start on liquid courage. She says she’s ready for the stripper. Laura says they’re cancelling phase two, and getting a room upstairs.

Sonny tells Sam that they’re his family. Sam asks if he’s there when she puts her kids to bed and worries if their father is coming home. She lost him because of Sonny, and they made their way back to each other. It’s going to stay that way because Jason decided to leave the business, and he’s not getting pulled back in. Sonny says there’s something she doesn’t know, but Jason calls, asking Sam where she is. He came to pick her up and she was gone. She says she took a car, and he says he’ll meet her at home. She suggests they meet at the MetroCourt for dinner. Sonny wonders what’s wrong, and Sam apologizes. She doesn’t know what happened; she just snapped. He says with a new baby at home, it makes sense. She asks him not to mention it to Jason, and he agrees.

Curtis tells Jordan that Stella practically raised him, and the thought of her dying before they’ve made peace is devastating. Griff comes out, and tells them that Stella is doing better. She suffered a mild stroke, but they have reason to hope for a good outcome since they got her there so quickly. Jordan asks about permanent damage, but Griff says it’s tough to tell with someone who has a history of it. Curtis is surprised to hear that, and at first, Griff doesn’t want to say anymore. Curtis says she’s like his mother, and Griff tells him that they were able to contact her primary physician, and this has happened before.

Jason meets Sam at the bar. He asks what the doctor said, and she tells him she has an iron deficiency. All she needs is vitamins and sleep. And major psychotropic drugs and therapy. I added that last part.

Carly meets Sonny at Pozzulo’s. He tells her about Sam stopping by, but then says it was nothing. Carly says things aren’t getting better with Josslyn; they’re getting worse. He says that it’s because of him.

Josslyn texts Oscar that she’s stuck in Port Charles after all. He asks if she’s okay, and she says family drama. He asks if she wants to talk about it.

Curtis and Jordan visit Stella. She says she’s sorry; she doesn’t know what happened. Curtis tells her that she needs to rest, but she had him scared, and Jordan says, the both of them. Stella tells them that the handsome doctor told her she’ll be fine. Curtis says that Griff told them she had a stroke, and it wasn’t the first time. She says he had no business telling them that; it was years ago, shortly after his mother died. She didn’t tell him because he’d just lost his brother and mother, and she didn’t want to burden him. He says he loves her, but she says she listened to her doctor, and got it under control. She was doing fine until she showed up in Port Charles. She looks pointedly at Jordan.

Lulu and Laura get Olivia to a room. Lulu wants to cancel the rest of the evening. When Olivia protests, Laura says they can always book a stripper for her anniversary. She asks if Olivia would like to talk about why she downed four martinis; maybe there’s something else she’s terrified about – like getting married. Olivia laughs, and then says she is terrified. Laura says there’s no guarantees in life, even when you love someone. The only questions she has to ask herself is if she wants to spend her life without Ned. Olivia says not a chance, thanks Laura for being a good friend, and passes out.

Dillon leaves to find Michael. Dante tells Ned that maybe they can find  a way to salvage the evening, adding that he’d walk through fire before hurting Olivia. Ned says that Dante tries to do the most right for the most people, and if he’s earned Dante’s approval, it’s a major achievement. Dante says that Ned is a good guy, and his mother is the same way, putting others needs before her own. He welcomes Ned to the family.

Olivia snores. Someone bangs on the door, and she stumbles to open it. It’s the fireman. She says Lulu brought the entertainment to her. She asks if he doesn’t have a fire to put out, but he says he has to inspect her room. She says she’ll inspect his room, rips off his jacket, throws him on the bed, and suggests the get the party started. That was funny, but I have to say it. I doubt a hotel manager would let a lone fireman inspect the rooms by himself.

Olivia looks out from a jail cell door, still wearing her feather boa and tiara.

Michael gets back to the bachelor party, and says he missed a lot. Dante tells him to just be glad he wasn’t there when his mother showed up. Michael has brought back something from the Quartermaine private reserve. Dillon toasts to Ned and Olivia’s happiness, and hopes it will rub off on the rest of the family. Dante gets a call from the station. Ned says if someone asked five years ago he’d be living in the Quartermaine mansion with them, he’d have laughed, but he couldn’t be happier they’re all together. On the phone, Dante says, my mother is where?

Olivia tells a cop to talk to her son, Dante. He says he knows Dante’s mother isn’t a streetwalker. She’s offended, but then notices what she’s wearing, and says maybe she can’t argue with that. I’m guessing most streetwalkers don’t wear tiaras though.

Curtis says he’s not losing Stella. She says he saved her, but he says it was Jordan who knew what was happening. Elizabeth comes in to take Stella’s vitals. Jordan leaves to call TJ. Stella thanks her for saving the day.

In the hallway, Griff asks if Jordan is all right. She says Stella has been through a lot of stress lately, and asks if it’s possible that’s the reason for the stroke. He says it’s impossible to predict, but the survival rate decreases with every stroke. He’s going to do everything possible to make sure there isn’t another one.

Sonny tells Carly that he’s sorry about Josslyn. She says at the end of the day, she’s the parent, but wishes that Josslyn wasn’t so stubborn. Sonny wonders where she got it from. Carly thinks that Jax wouldn’t want her living there anyway, but it’s not possible to sit down and discuss it between the three of them.

Sam asks Jason what Sonny wanted. Jason says he’s quitting the business and seemed serious. He’s looking for a successor. In her head, Sonny tells Sam, that’s right, and she knows who it will be.

Carly asks Laura where the bride-to-be is, and Laura says in for the night. Four martinis on an empty stomach, and she’s down for the count. Laura thinks she just wanted a quiet night in anyway, and she got it.

Dante says, that’s her, and the cop apologizes, saying she looks young enough to be his sister, which makes Olivia happy. Dante asks if she’s okay, and she says that depends. She feels humiliated.

Jordan tells Curtis that she thinks Stella wants to spend time with her family, so she’s going to go. Curtis says they’ll meet up later, and thanks her for everything she did.

Josslyn texts to Oscar that no one is listening to her. Oscar says it sucks, but Port Charles would be boring without her.

Sonny calls someone. He says he has a job for them.

In Sam’s head, Sonny says they’ll never get rid of him. She asks Jason if Sonny asked him to take over. He says no. He’s out of the business, and now that Sonny is too, maybe their families can have some peace. Delusion Sonny tells Sam that he’s never going to let Jason go.

Tomorrow, Sonny hopes Josslyn can forgive him one day, Amy doesn’t think she and Nathan should do this anymore, and Olivia-F says the wedding is off.

July 5, 2017 – Sam Goes Over the Edge, a Toast to Friendship & Some Odds & Ends

General Hospital

Sonny goes through some paperwork, and thinks he’s found the exit ramp he’s looking for.

Jason takes Sam to the doctor. He says whatever it is, even if it’s nothing, they’re in this together. Sonny texts, asking if he’s free.

Molly and Alexis meet TJ and Aunt Stella for dinner.

Jordan tells Curtis that Obrecht is awaiting arraignment. Curtis asks if she wants to celebrate, but she says she has to arrest him too.

Anna and Andre have apparently danced through the holiday weekend. He asks if she feels better, and she suggests putting a dance floor in his office. She asks if he’s good, and he kisses her. I guess that answers her question.

Nina gets a call and says she’ll accept it. It’s Valentin calling from The Hauge in the Netherlands. He says it’s good to hear her voice. Nina asks how it’s possible, and he says he gets the occasional phone call. He called Charlotte, but it went to voicemail. She wonders if he called for her to give a message to Charlotte, but he says he misses her and loves her. She asks if a trial date has been set, and he tells her that there isn’t going to be one.

Andre tells Anna they should forget it happened, and Anna asks if that’s what he wants. If not, maybe they can go back to her place.

Jason tells Sam that he’ll call Sonny later. Sam hates that Jason is worried about her. The doctor comes out, introducing himself as Dr. David Bench. He says he prefers to meet with Sam alone, and she suggests Jason find out what Sonny wanted; it might be good news for a change.

Stella is happy to get to know Alexis, and looks forward to meeting the rest of the family. Alexis asks if she has kids, and Stella says her sister’s kids are enough. She wonders where Curtis is, and TJ says he couldn’t make it; he’s working.

Jordan tells Curtis that she has no choice but to arrest him for unlawful access to medical records. Curtis is flabbergasted, and says that Monica set it up. He realizes that Jordan is teasing him, and she says she got him good. He asks her to come have a drink with him. She says one drink. He says, and nothing more, but in the next scene, they’re at her place, getting busy. And there’s a song part. You know when there’s music with lyrics playing, things are serious.

Stella tells Alexis that she thinks TJ is trying to cover up that she and Curtis had a rough patch. Having three daughters, Alexis says she knows all about rough patches. She adds that Curtis is probably working on a case. Her son-in-law works with him occasionally.

Jordan tells Curtis that it was a mistake. Curtis says that she’s denying how she really feels. The past is the past, and they deserve happiness. She tells him to try telling that to Stella. He says Stella’s feelings aren’t the only ones to consider. TJ is cool with them, and they can’t deny how they feel. He says they can’t live their life looking backwards, and if it offends Stella, she’ll have to live with it. He thinks they’re on the verge of building something special, and doesn’t want to give it up

Nina asks if he’s cutting a deal, but Valentin says no. He says that he’s not going to make it through the preliminaries. The Chimera’s existence embarrasses the WSB, and they’re going to make him disappear. She says if anything like that happens, she’ll contact all of the publishers she knows, in addition to splashing it on the cover of Crimson. Valentin tells her that she’ll only bring trouble to herself, and all she should reveal is that he was arrested and she cut him out of her life. He’s sorry he had Charlotte believe he was coming back; it was the wish of a desperate father. He apologizes for bothering her, but wanted to hear her voice. He hangs up.

Andre tells Anna that he dislikes scrutinizing a moment to death when not on the clock, but doesn’t want to ruin a good thing for a night of satisfaction. Anna’s phone rings. It’s Nina. She says she needs to talk to her about Valentin.

Dr. Bench asks Sam what the problem is, and she says that Jason wanted her to get checked out. They’ve been having disagreements and she’s been more short-tempered than usual. He says it could be lack of sleep, and wonders if there’s anything else. She says she thinks there is something in her life that’s off.

Jason goes to Pozzulo’s. Sonny thanks him for the warning about the Garvster, who is now in the hospital, but will be going to prison. He says he’s making a decision, and wants Jason to know first. He’s giving up the territory and getting out of the business.

At Nina’s office, Nina tells Anna that Valentin told her he wouldn’t live to stand trial, and the WSB will make him disappear to avoid publicity. She says she doesn’t understand. Aren’t they the good guys? Would they really kill him, and what can they do to stop it?

Stella compliments Alexis on how she raised Molly, and Alexis says TJ is no slouch either. Alexis says she has a tendency to swoop in and “save” her kids, but made a promise to keep her nose out of it. Stella asks what she would do if one of her daughters was responsible for another daughter’s death, and if she wouldn’t interfere.

Jordan says that Curtis is the one who will pay for it if they ignore Stella’s feelings. He says she may raise some hell, but she’ll come around eventually. Jordan doesn’t think she’s going to get past it anytime soon. He says that she’s not the only stubborn one in the family, and he’s chosen Jordan.

Sam tells Dr. Bench that she doesn’t feel like herself, but he wants her to be more specific. He asks what was going on the last time she felt like that. In her head, she tells herself to be careful or she’ll get sent away. She tells him about how her opinion changed on something, and it’s caused her and Jason to clash more. The doctor says he can’t say there’s nothing wrong yet, and asks if she’s familiar with postpartum depression. He suggests a blood test.

Sonny tells Jason that it’s been a long time coming, and that he and Carly changed their minds about the divorce. He decided that if they survived, he would leave the business. He says he’s starting a new life like Jason did. Jason asks what makes him think he can pull it off, and Sonny asks if he doubts his sincerity or his ability. Jason says someone will want to take his place and might want to make sure he can’t come back. Sonny says he can’t keep trying to stay with the control and power if it means he’ll lose the people he loves. Life is too short. He knows it takes more than a resignation letter, but he has to do it. He says it has to be careful planning, and Jason says he needs a successor who won’t screw it up or come after him. He asks if that’s why he’s there.

Dr. Bench comes back with the initial results. Fastest. Lab. Tests. Ever. Sam has an iron deficiency, and he tells her that it can cause physical symptoms that possibly affect moods. He wants her to schedule another appointment for more tests. Sam sees Sonny in her head, and he tells her that what’s wrong with her can’t be fixed.

Stella and Alexis agree not to take a one size fits all approach to discussing each other’s families. Stella says she doesn’t interfere, but has a knack for making her feelings known to get the desired results. How that isn’t the same thing, I’m not sure. Curtis and Jordan walk into the restaurant together.

Anna tells Nina that Valentin has reason not to trust the WSB, but she knows the head guy, and he’d never make Valentin disappear. Nina says her understanding of the situation doesn’t matter, but Valentin does. If she hadn’t told Anna where he was, he, Nina, and Charlotte would all be together. What if she’s wrong, and they find out he disappeared? Who’s going to tell Charlotte that he’s never coming back?

Valentin writes Nina a thank you letter for the happiest months of his life. She gave him a chance to be better, and for a while he was. He’s sorry to have given her reasons to doubt him. He swears he loves her and always will. Their time together was a gift for both him and Charlotte. He says Charlotte will always have her, and begs Nina to stay in her life. He wishes he could have given both of them more.

Anna tells Nina that it’s espionage, plain and simple, and it’s a crime. Nina says it’s convenient that her friend is head of the WSB, and asks if he turned his head regarding her sister. Anna says that Nina has no idea what she’s saying. Nina says all she knows is that everything was amazing until Anna showed up, breaking into their house and accusing Valentin of all kinds of things, and then her sister took over. Now he’s in prison and thinks he’s going to die, and Anna says she should trust the bureau. Anna says they’re not going to kill him, but they’ll see him convicted. She advises Nina to distance herself. If he calls again, it might be better for both of them if she doesn’t pick up.

Alexis thanks Stella for the evening, and leaves. Stella tells Curtis that he just missed TJ and Molly, and he says he didn’t know they were having a family dinner. Stella sarcastically says that’s because he was working, and too bad he couldn’t make the time. He tells her that Molly and TJ don’t need any additional drama. He made the mistake of giving in to Stella’s every wish, but he’s corrected that mistake now.

Sonny tells Jason that he hasn’t figured it out yet. Whoever he chooses might come after Jason, and he says Jason should be ready for that. Jason sees a text from Sam saying that she’s been delayed at the hospital. Sonny toasts to a peaceful transition. He says who knows what’s coming next, and Jason says whatever it is, they’ll handle it.

In her head, Sonny tells Sam that the only way to solve the problem is to get rid of what’s distracting Jason. Dr. Bench gives Sam some advice and another appointment date. He tells her to call if she needs to come in sooner. He leaves, and as Sam is about to walk out, she eyeballs a tray of surgical instruments.

Andre sees Anna, and asks what brings her to the hospital. She says that she thought he’d be there, and stumbles over her words, saying that she thought they could pick up where they left off.

Nina looks at the family photo on her desk, and remembers when Valentin gave her the engagement ring. She takes off her wedding ring set.

Valentin folds the letter. A huge man comes in, and Valentin says he’s not the regular. Dude says he’s with the WSB. Valentin asks him to take the letter, but he says that’s not his job. He tells Valentin to stand up, and cuffs him.  He takes him out of the cell. I’m hoping that he’s an emissary from Alex.

Stella says that Curtis is treating the family with shame and disrespect. He tells her that she’ll have to respect he’s with Jordan. Jordan asks if they can’t co-exist respectfully for TJ’s sake. Stella suddenly keels over and falls to the floor.

Jason gets to the hospital, and Dr. Bench tells him that Sam left already.

Sam shows up at Pozzulo’s. Sonny tells her that she just missed Jason, but she says she came to see him. She wants to give him a gift. She pulls out a surgical scalpel, and stabs him repeatedly.

Tomorrow, a fire happens, Olivia-F has a bachelorette party, and Carly wants to talk to Josslyn about her father.

The Real Housewives of New York City

Ramona makes breakfast in Vermont. Dorinda’s stuff has finally arrived. She doesn’t want to go skiing with the others because she doesn’t want to be on the bunny hill with the six-year-olds, or injure herself before the Mexico trip.

Bethenny tells Tinsley that she has compassion for her. In her interview, she says that Tinsley seems like a mess, and she doesn’t want to add to it. Tinsley tells her that she felt like people wanted her to just get over it, but Bethenny tells her she should take whatever time she needs. Tinsley is happy that they’ve cleared the air.

Sonja tells Luann that she’s getting it that Luann is married; she’s transitioning. In her interview, Luann asks if this is a partouze, which is basically French for a threesome. She says that Sonja seems to act like her relationship is a joke and says inappropriate things. We flash back to Sonja talking about them having sex with the same guy (i.e. Tom). Sonja says she just wants to be herself, but it’s hard because inappropriateness comes with the territory. Luann wants an apology, but says Sonja won’t apologize to save her life. Sonja feels like she’s apologized enough, and complains to the others that she hates having rules, but she’s going to try for Luann. Dorinda suggests she drop it for the rest of the time they’re in Vermont, which is probably like waving a red flag at a bull.

Tinsley and Luann both have red ski jackets, and Luann thinks they look like a Swiss ski patrol. Ramona yaps about how much she’s been doing, and Dorinda says she took the Catholic guilt option and gave Ramona the bigger room. Everyone else leaves for skiing, and she breathes a sigh of relief.

Luann says it’s perfect weather for skiing – both snow and sunshine. Ramona isn’t a fan of East Coast skiing because it can be powdery on top, but icy underneath. She captures a young ski instructor to help her. In her interview, Sonja says Ramona can hot dog behind him on the slopes, but nothing romantic is going to happen. Luann thinks it’s a miracle that Ramona still has her clothes on.

Carole stays behind with Dorinda; she prefers going to the lodge. She tells Dorinda how nice it was of her to switch rooms with Ramona, and about how Luann complained about her room. Dorinda says married or not, first come, first served. She’s also annoyed with Sonja for the comments she’s made about Tom.

Luann complains on the ski lift about Sonja’s inappropriate (word of the day) comments. She says she thinks because Sonja has been single for so long, she’s forgotten how it works. In her interview, Luann talks about how Bethenny has SkinnyGirl everything, including a car. The instructor takes a picture for them, and in her interview Bethenny compares him and Ramona to a baby chicken and a barracuda.

Carole tells Dorinda that she feels like Tinsley was ganged up on. Dorinda says after leaving an abusive relationship, it’s like having PTSD. On the slopes, Ramona wishes Tinsley would get out of her way, because she wants the hill to herself. Bethenny is snowboarding, and says the trip couldn’t have come at a better time.

Dorinda says everybody handles their stuff differently. Carole says wannabe Jason is gaslighting Bethenny, even though she’s kept her mouth shut about him publicly. She shows Dorinda a Page Six article, and says that it’s a game changer. The suckerfish has been arrested for stalking, and the article talks about him showing up at Bryn’s school. Dorinda wonders if he’s lost his mind. No. He never had one. She doesn’t know how Bethenny holds it all together. Carole says she thought it would go away after the settlement, but it got worse, and he wouldn’t let up.

Ramona makes a point of telling the instructor that she’s single. In her interview, she thinks Bethenny is acting like they’re in middle school, and a question mark forms over my head. Because she’s snowboarding instead of skiing?

On the lift, Bethenny tells Tinsley that she couldn’t sleep because of anxiety over their conversation. She says the Mexico trip will be a challenge. Luann reminds Bethenny that she’s going to arrive later, giving Bethenny the idea to invite Ramona to come halfway through. Half of the trip will be good, and the other half will be psychotic.

Ramona drags the ski instructor back to the lodge. It turns out he’s from an area where Dorinda lived, and Ramona asks him to get her something to drink, because she doesn’t like his attention being divided. When he goes to the bar, Ramona says how sweet he is. Carole says he gets paid to be sweet, and in her interview, thinks Ramona is a rude flirt. After the instructor returns, Ramona wants him to get something for Dorinda, but Dorinda tells her that he’s not a waiter. In her interview, Dorinda says it’s awkward; he knows what’s going on, and it’s past cougar. Ramona makes a toast to how great everything is. Sonja asks if everyone is good, and Dorinda says yes, she feels her drinks kicking in.

Ramona thinks Bethenny is having difficulties. In her interview, Dorinda says she doesn’t like to pry, and goes by people’s reactions and actions. Bethenny isn’t sure how much to say, since there are some people she doesn’t trust. By that I think she means Ramona. Tinsley is on antidepressants, and in her interview, Carole says she’s not a shrink, but knows you’re not supposed to drink when you’re taking them. Dorinda and Bethenny discuss relationships. Bethenny says she’s private about certain things, and Dorinda tells her that if she wants to talk about it, she’s there. Tinsley is annoyed that Ramona has her bare feet on the coffee table. I would be too.

The ladies go back to their lodging. Carole tells Bethenny she confided in Dorinda, but noticed it’s blowing up anyway. I love Bethenny’s sweater, and wonder if she knitted it herself. In her interview, she says she just wants some relief and normalcy.

Luann tries to light a fire in the gas fireplace. At first it does nothing, then overcompensates. She wonders if she still has her eyebrows.

A few guys from a local restaurant arrive. Ramona met some restaurateurs on the mountain, and set up a dinner for the girls. Ramona does Sonja’s hair, and in her interview, Luann wonders if Ramona was kicked out of beauty school for being mean. Luann asks if Sonja and Ramona were invited to Mexico, and Ramona says she wasn’t. Luann tells them about Bethenny saying Ramona should come for a few days, since Luann is going to be late. In her interview, Ramona feels slighted for the backhanded invite.

Dorinda says Tinsley is a professional shopper and professional day drinker, amending the latter to Olympic style. Ramona tells Sonja that she didn’t feel any bad energy from Bethenny. Sonja wonders if they’re on the same planet, because she thought Bethenny seemed annoyed. In her interview, she’s sure Ramona will be going to Mexico, since she wiggles her way into everything. Maybe she can bring Christy from Little Women: LA. Ramona gets all excited when she sees that the restaurant has sent the wine that she likes. I get all excited about the food, and another fabulous sweater on Bethenny. Ramona explains that the dinner was inspired by one of Bethenny’s ideas. In her interview, Bethenny talks about how awkward Ramona must be feeling.

Bethenny thinks they should play Truth or Dare, but Carole says it’s too easy to cheat and make something up. For whatever reason, Bethenny starts it off with a really personal sex question. Tinsley answers, Dorinda is grossed out, and in her interview, Luann says it’s TMI. I’m with the Countess on this one. Sonja picks a dare, and Bethenny wants her to give the waiter a passionate kiss. He’s not exactly receptive, but Bethenny gives her props for trying. Dorinda is next for truth, and John’s penis is discussed. We’ll just leave it at that. Carole admits to having sex with George Clooney a million years ago, and rates him a nine. Carole asks Ramona how many men she’s been with since the divorce. She says three, but doesn’t count Bill Clinton’s kind of sex. The restaurant people can’t believe the conversation. Neither can I. Luann says she feels lucky to be in a relationship, and in her interview, Ramona says Luann is acting superior. Dorinda says the truth is, that Tom was out there, a lot of things were public, and everyone is tired of hearing about Palm Beach. Luann tells Dorinda not to make her feel bad about it. In her interview, Dorinda says they’re happy for her, but don’t want to hear about it anymore; they’ve got it. Bethenny says it was a rough road, but if Luann wants to revel in it, that’s fine. Dorinda says Bethenny is doing an about face.

Dorinda says she’s stuck up for Luann more than anyone. Bethenny says she understands how Luann got there. A lot of stuff happened on the way to the wedding, and it’s a human moment to want to enjoy a honeymoon phase, whereas Luann’s excessive bragging wasn’t. Luann says she made it. (She’s married!) In her interview, she’s surprised at Dorinda. Dorinda says Luann is looking at her weird, and that she’s not God. Luann says she didn’t mean for it to sound the way it did, and loves Dorinda. Carole makes a silly rhyming toast about friendship. Sonja decides to make a toast too, but manages to slip in something snarky about Tom. Carole says that’s mean-spirited toasting and she doesn’t like it. Luann says, and these are her f-ing friends.

Next time, Sonja gets electrolysis for the Mexico trip, Ramona is sure that she’s going to be invited to Mexico, Carole fixes Tinsley up, and Ramona demands respect and sympathy from Bethenny.

🍴 Both MasterChef and The f Word were reruns tonight. Which is just as well, since I spent last night running interference between small dogs and loud noises.

🌺 Little Women: LA ended their season with an 80s prom, where Tonya and Kerwin were crowned king and queen. Kerwin also asked Tonya to marry him. She said yes, but is still hesitant to get married. Briana’s husband, Matt, is still a creep, but she’s still with him. SMH. Next up is the reunion, where the latest girl that Matt has “only kissed” will be trotted out.

🎸 Dave Navarro will be guest starring – well, really guest walking by – on Odd Mom Out this season. I don’t know his music well, but I liked him so much in an interview, I’ve supported his solo efforts since then.

What I Watched Today

General Hospital was a rerun from March today, and will also be tomorrow, which is really today for some of you. I remember the days (putting on my shawl) when they actually had new episodes on holidays. Although it did give me more of a chance to get sucked into the world of Game of Thrones. I didn’t stay up all night during the marathon, but the only episodes I fully missed were when I was sleeping. It was like, wait, let me just watch this one part; oh yeah, there’s this part; that’s right, in the next episode (insert your favorite villain here) bites the dust; and before I knew it, it was the end of season six.

🗽 Have a Happy and safe Independence Day, and please, please keep your pets inside well before fireworks time. 🐱More pets are lost on this day than any other.🐶

🙌 Also, don’t forget what we’re celebrating, besides a day off from work. My favorite way to commemorate the occasion, besides a trip to Oceanfest (i.e. glorified flea market with sandcastles) and hoisting a few, is to watch 1776. If you don’t like musicals, it might not be for you, but I probably learned more about the signing of the Declaration of Independence from this film than any history class. It also gives a glimpse into the personal lives of our forefathers and humanizes them. The cast is superb – William Daniels (John Adams), Ken Howard (Thomas Jefferson), Howard Da Silva (Benjamin Franklin), and a host of others, including several actors from the original Dark Shadows. Full of humor, wittiness, and spirit, it never gets old for me.

Fear the Walking Dead

Jeremiah sets up some target practice for Nick. Nick is worried about the caravan, and Jeremiah says they’ll get back when they get back.

Alicia gets out of Jake’s bed. She’s also worried about the caravan. Jake says he protected Troy when they were little, and she can trust him – on this at least. She says she’s more worried about whoever shot the helicopter down.

The caravan looks like a bunch of zombies coming up the road, ragged and shuffling. Alicia and Nick both run out to meet Madison. Everyone gets water, and injuries are looked at. Jeremiah asks what happened, and Troy wants to talk privately. Vernon says they all have a right to know, and Mike tells them that they’re Indian and slaughtered all of them. He says they’ll die too, if they don’t leave.

There’s a meeting in Jeremiah’s office, and Troy thinks they should hit them back immediately. Jeremiah asks if he scouted everything out. Madison says they were cautious, and Jeremiah says they’re extending the caution and not attacking. Troy says they either stole the land or didn’t, and Madison asks if it was stolen. Jeremiah says it was sold to his forebears, and what difference does it make? Jake tells Madison that Walker is a tribal lawyer. He’s sued them several times, and they’ve beat him in court every time. Jeremiah says the reservation is nothing but drug addicts and welfare cheats. He says it’s not racism, but the truth, and that was before the apocalypse, so he can just imagine now. Madison says the guy who talked to them was formidable and took command. Jeremiah asks if she has a crush on him, and tells Jake to deal with it.

Nick and Alicia take Madison back to their cabin. They unwrap and bathe her feet, which look pretty bad. Nick says Madison is strong, and she says he is too.

Alicia goes out to where Jake is practice shooting. She says sorry about the people he lost, but he says he didn’t know most of them. Alicia asks about Jeremiah, and Jake says that he’s the only founding father left; they’re getting picked off one by one. She asks if he’s afraid, and he says war is a violent place. He shows her how to use the automatic rifle. She asks who takes over the ranch after his dad. He says the land will pass to him and Troy, but the people don’t take orders well, so it could end up being anybody, even her. She says why wouldn’t it be him; they’ll want to look to somebody, so why not? She shoots the target.

Gretchen is looking for Alicia. Madison says she’s out and about, and asks how Mike is. She says he’s freaked, but said everyone would have died without her. Madison asks her to come in, and Gretchen says it’s her whole family. Her father doesn’t think it’s safe, and he’s one of the ones who built it. He said it’s just started, and he wants to leave the ranch. Madison says there’s nowhere safer, but Vernon thinks the Rockies will be safe at elevation. He thinks no one will listen, but being a founder, feels responsible.

Jeremiah drinks in his office. He hears something and goes outside. Nick does too. There are little fires all around, and everyone starts coming outside. The count about twenty, and Jeremiah says it wasn’t meant to burn them out; it’s just bullsh*t. Madison says the people are scared.

Nick goes to the pantry. Troy asks if Lucie took off. Nick gets annoyed, but Troy says he’s glad he didn’t take after her. Vernon and Kathy want to leave with some supplies. Troy tells Kathy that it’s no time to leave, but she says they’re worried. Vernon says this is what they put in, and the rules are that they can take it back out. Troy says the rules are for the people who live there, and if they leave, they don’t live there anymore. Kathy says that they spoke with his father, and to take it up with him.

Jeremiah looks like he has a headache, and tells Madison that it’s migraines. She almost tells him about Vernon, but Vernon joins them and beats her to it. He tells Jeremiah that they’ve been friends going on thirty years, but a man’s family comes first. He thinks the best thing to protect them is to leave. Jeremiah asks if they’re booking at the first sign of trouble, but Vernon says they’ve already killed eight. Jeremiah tells him to go. Madison begs Vernon to think for a minute, but he says his mind is made up, and walks away. Jeremiah tells her that when some men have kids, and it turns them into women, which she really appreciates. I can tell by the look on her face. Madison tells Jeremiah to give him a reason to stay or the rest will follow. Jeremiah says he welcomed them with open arms, and now has to beg them to stay? She says there’s a fight coming, and they’ll need everyone.

Vernon and his family are about to leave in their RV. Troy tells them he’ll shoot if the gate is opened. He tells Vernon to open the door, and tries to get Mike to come out. He says people died, and a man doesn’t run. Jake joins the people starting to gather, and tells Troy that Jeremiah said they could leave. Troy says everything is their property, and starts getting loud and stupid. Jake says that’s not what dad wants, and he’s just protecting the ranch. Troy tells him that he has no clue about protecting anything, and is he going to fight or surrender? Troy hits Jake. By now, Jeremiah is there, and almost decks Troy, but the others stop him. The gate is opened, and the RV leaves, Gretchen looking sadly out the window.

Troy is in the armory, and Madison asks if he’s looking for something to take out his old man. He says, never. All he’s ever had is this place and these people. He doesn’t understand it; the world outside is burned. Madison says that they want to see for themselves. He says Mike has been his friend since they were kids; he never quit on him. Madison says he didn’t quit on Troy; he stood by his family. Troy says it’s hard to know how to react. Madison says she’ll help him to save the others from the same mistake.

Troy tells his soldiers to come to attention. He says Mike is gone, and not coming back. From now on, they set an example, and will be a model of order, discipline, and chain of command. They have to make people feel safe or they’ll leave. They have to defend it with their lives or they’ll be slaughtered. It’s all they have, and it’s teetering. The only thing that can save it, is them. He says they’re all with him and do they understand. Everyone says, yes, sir.

Nick sees someone in the new/old house that burned. It’s Jeremiah, working. He asks where Nick has been; he’s been there drinking all night alone. That ought to be great for his migraines. He offers something to Nick, who says he’s high on life. Ha-ha! He tells Jeremiah to slow down, and asks what happened to his hand. Jeremiah says the expression “love the one you’re with” goes the same for hitting people, and I have no idea how that ties in. Nick says tomorrow is another day, a better one; he can crash there, and he’ll be too hungover to get in any fights. Jeremiah says the house is a sacred spot, where the movement was conceived; his life’s work. Now, two are dead, and one is dead to him. He knocks over the table, and while Nick is picking it up, Jeremiah takes the gun. He shoots three holes in the table, and apologizes. He says it’s Nick’s home and gun. He gets into bed. He tells Nick there’s blood in it; it’s in the earth. This guy is a font of information tonight.

Alicia comes into the bunkhouse, and Madison startles her. She asks if Alicia was at Bible study, and Alicia says she was at Jake’s, adding it’s nothing serious. Madison says the rhythm method is bullsh*t, and Alicia says Madison already told her that when she was a little kid, and she thought Madison was talking about a band. Alicia tells Madison that there’s birth control in the pantry. Madison says that the stakes are higher now, and asks if Alicia likes him. Alicia says yes; like, but not love.

Yep, Jeremiah is hungover. Nick says he raided the pantry, and offers him some coffee. Jeremiah starts to say, about last night… and Nick interrupts, saying that he was at the bunkhouse, and did he miss something? Jeremiah spies a horse near the fence and wonders how long it’s been there. They move closer, and he realizes it’s Vernon’s horse. He tells Nick to get Madison.

Madison, Jeremiah, and Nick go out in the truck. Jeremiah doesn’t think they would just free the horse. He thinks that the family is dead, but questions how they got that way. He tells Madison to be ready for that.

Alicia looks at some of Jake’s desk papers, and sees they’re concerning the Black Hat Reservation. He says he’s going to talk to Walker. He wants to take the back way, so his father won’t stop him. Alicia is afraid he’ll get killed, but Jake says he has to be more than just a voice in his father’s ear. She thinks he should take charge inside the camp. He tells her that Walker isn’t crazy, and his people got a raw deal. She asks him not to go, but he leaves anyway.

Madison and company see the RV. It has bullet holes in the windshield. Jeremiah says to stay ready; a lot of dead wander around there. They hear sounds in the camper. Jeremiah opens the door, gun drawn. He goes inside, and we hear shots. He comes out, and says it was Vernon and Kathy. They see Mike, really dead, leaning up against the RV, and hear zombie feeding noises from the trailer. Inside, Gretchen and the rest of the family are chowing down on a horse. Madison shoots them, but pauses before shooting Gretchen, who’s the last one. Gretchen snaps at her like a rabid dog for a while, and Madison finally shoots her.

They pack everybody up. Nick asks Madison if it had something to do with Troy, but she says Walker is close by. Nick says no way they’d leave horses, an RV, and supplies. Jeremiah says of all the things Troy has done, he’s never anything like this, not to his own people. Madison says they need to be sure. Jeremiah doesn’t know what to do, and she says they have to go back.

The RV is brought back with the truck. Madison opens the truck bed, and looks at Troy. Everyone sees the bodies, and gets a little freaked. Madison says they were good people, and didn’t deserve it. She and her family were taken in as strangers at the ranch, and grew to love it there. She wishes her husband had lived to see it, but he was killed – by the same people who killed Phil and the people at the outpost. Walker’s people have now killed their friends. She explains that she’s seen firsthand what happens to his victims. They haven’t been out in the world, but she has, and there’s nothing out there. If they leave, they’ll die. She tells them that Walker’s people don’t have enough strength to fight them, but they’re trying to scare them out. Out there, where no one can see, and there’s no militia to protect them. If they stay together, they live. Everyone starts nodding, and Nick gives Madison the stink eye.

Alicia looks through Jake’s papers, and shoves some into her bag. Nick watches as everyone puts stuff back into the pantry. He tells Madison that she was impressive, and she says it was necessary. He asks how she could tell such a big lie. She says she didn’t lie; they’re safe where they are, and she’ll sleep like a baby. No one would believe it was Troy; they’re more afraid of what’s out there. Nick says that she should have told him first. He would have backed her like he’s backing her now. He tells her not to forget who Troy is.

Madison joins Troy, who’s sitting by himself. He tells her that he didn’t go out to do that. He wanted to look Mike in the eye, and have Mike tell him directly; he owed Troy that. Madison says Mike didn’t want to. Troy says that they both said things, and it went bad. She says that he could run this place, but not if he lets things break. Last night, he took command. Jake doesn’t have what he has; he’s the survivor and heir. She doesn’t want to hear that he lost control; it can’t happen. She doesn’t care why he does what he does, only that he controls it. He asks her why, and she tells him that a fight is coming. He has to save them. She asks if he can, and he says, yes, ma’am.

I got distracted because one of my dogs was stuck in a little dog tent, but next time is the finale, which will be preceded by a marathon. I did catch Madison saying that sides don’t matter, and Troy doesn’t think Jake is coming back.

🏛 The Real Housewives of Potomac had their finale tonight, with the reunion to follow next time. Apparently, Karen isn’t really downsizing, just making a lateral move to another city. The new house has nine bedrooms and is 14,000 square feet. That sounds like something Lisa Vanderpump and Ken Todd might “downsize” to. She had a Bollywood themed party, that had a touch of Welcome to America thrown in. I guess the invites said to show up in Indian costume, because Monique arrived in Native American regalia. I wasn’t sure if this was supposed to be a (bad) joke, or if she’s the Porsha of the group. I’ve also started to wonder about Robyn and Juan. Although divorced, they’ve never parted company, and now are devoting six months to working on their relationship. Romantic relationship. Could this all possibly be to get some storyline? Because, face it, there isn’t much else interesting about them. There weren’t any fascinating factoids in the blurbs at the end either. The best of it was that Monique is installing a shark tank in her kitchen, and Ashley’s restaurant and marriage are still tanking.
