General Hospital

Poor Jason can’t get any real work done. Two gunmen slip into the coffee warehouse, but he can feel it. He chucks his clipboard, takes out his gun, and ducks behind some shelves before shots come his way. There’s a shootout and Jason hits one of the gunmen. The other is apparently a coward and runs out.

Carly says, if Jason doesn’t sell his half of the coffee business to Sonny, what does he plan on doing about it? Sonny says, it’s just business, but Carly says, it isn’t. Sonny made it personal when he insisted Jason was the enemy. Sonny says, that’s who he is now; he’s working with the Feds. He was free to make a choice how to handle it. Sonny made his. She says, he told her that what happens next is on Jason. What the hell does that mean? What did he do?

Kristina sits at a beautifully set table in Blaze’s room and says, when Blaze surprises a girl with dinner, she really goes all out. And her favorite chocolate cake for dessert. She can’t believe Blaze remembered that. Blaze says, to be fair, Kristina talks about the chocolate cake a lot, and Kristina says, yeah, because it’s her favorite. Not that she’s complaining, but what’s the occasion? Blaze asks if she needs an occasion to spoil Kristina… Maybe there’s a little something else going on here. She knows Kristina has been having a hard time with what she saw at the wedding reception. She just wanted to do something to show Kristina that she’s not alone. She’s here. Kristina says, that’s really sweet of her, and thanks her. It has been hard lately. It’s been hard facing the reality of who her dad actually is, but talking to Dante really helped because she could see he was struggling with the same issues. Blaze says she’s glad, and Kristina says, also, being here with her like this makes her feel even better. She feels so safe with Blaze. She used to think the only person in this whole world who really understood her was her dad, and now she knows that’s not true because she has Blaze. Blaze says, Kristina does have her, and Kristina says she knows. She’s glad Molly doesn’t know about this because if she did, Molly would be out of control, and she really can’t handle that. She asks Blaze, what’s wrong? and Blaze says, Molly does know. She told her.

Ava records on her phone: Welcome to the first US exhibition of the work of Lagos based Harriet Nikia, exclusively at the Jerome gallery, when… She says, dammit, and rewinds. She says, welcome to the first… when there’s a knock at the door. She opens it to Natalia, who says, she hopes this isn’t a bad time. Is it?

Deanna brings Jack into his hospital room and says, he did a good job keeping up with her on his walk. Now he should get some rest. She helps him back into bed, and he says, being in a hospital is a lot like being in a casino. You have no idea what time it is. (Didn’t Heather say that too?) Deanna says, his stab wound might be healing, but his aim is to regain his flexibility with two or three walks a day. He says, it’s always good to have a goal, and the guard handcuffs him back to the bed. The guard’s phone dings, and he says, there’s a disturbance on the third floor. They need his help. Jack says, take your time. He’s not going anywhere. Deanna says, they’ll be fine, and Jack thanks her. She follows the guard out, and Jack takes out a paperclip and undoes his cuff. He gets out of bed and finds some conveniently stashed scrubs in a drawer in his room.

Jason tosses the gunman’s gun aside and checks for a pulse. He hears someone and draws his gun, but it’s Anna coming in with her gun drawn. She says, he seems to have a dead man on his floor, and he says, there was a second shooter, but he got away. She asks if he got a look at him, but he says, no. He was too busy returning fire. She asks if he has any idea who sent them, and he says, she got here right after the shooting stopped. That’s perfect timing, unless she’s watching the place. She says, what? No, it was a coincidence. She was coming over here to get more details about Sonny attacking Dex. She heard shots and she drew her weapon. She’s going to call this in. She takes out her phone, they hear sirens, and she says, it appears someone beat her to it.

Sonny says he doesn’t have to explain himself to Carly after all her lies and broken promises. She says she never lied to him about Jason, and he says, just broken promises. Is that better? She asks if he knows what she thinks, and he says he’s sure he’s going to hear it. She says, he still hasn’t made up his mind about Jason. Deep down, Sonny still trusts him. He might want to hate Jason, but he still trusts him. He asks if that’s what she thinks and starts to leave, but she grabs his arm and says, wait a second. He came here for the reality check he knew she would give him, so here it is. He never had a friend like Jason, and he never will. And even now, after everything Sonny has accused him of, Jason still has his back. And he knows it. Deep down he feels it. He says, does he? and she says, does he know why he’s struggling with all of this? Because he can’t erase Jason from his life. And if they’re both being honest, he doesn’t want to. He says he didn’t come here to bare his soul to her. He’s going upstairs to see Blaze. She asks if he’s serious. Please tell her that he’s not going up there to ask Blaze to defend him to Kristina.

Blaze says she’s so sorry. Telling Molly was a complete accident. Kristina says, how? How does someone say something like that by accident? Blaze says she ran into Molly outside of Kelly’s. At first, it was a totally normal conversation. Then Molly wanted to talk about what happened with Kristina at the wedding, so she thought Molly knew about Kristina’s dad, but it turns out she was just fishing. Kristina says, of course (🍷) she was. Of course (🍷) she was just fishing. That’s what Molly does. She gets information out of people. She’s a lawyer. She’s a damn good one too. She can’t believe Blaze fell for that. Kristina gets up and Blaze follows. Blaze says, Molly could tell by her reaction that something had happened, and she was afraid that if she didn’t tell Molly, she would just ask Kristina and it would upset Kristina even more. So she told Molly what Kristina’s dad did to Dex and that she witnessed it and called Blaze from the ladies’ room. Kristina asks why Blaze didn’t tell her this right away, and Blaze says she didn’t want to make it a bigger thing that it was, so she assured Molly that Kristina and the baby are fine. Kristina says she highly doubts Molly believes Blaze. Molly and TJ are already convinced she’s not responsible enough to take care of this child as it is. Now, this is definitely not going to help. Blaze says she’s so sorry. If she could take it back, she would. Kristina says, this is really bad. Molly is an ADA. She has the power to prosecute Sonny even if Dex doesn’t file charges for himself. Blaze says, she seemed completely fine when they said goodbye. She didn’t seem upset at all. In fact, she said she was headed to their mom’s house. Did Kristina see her there? Did she say anything about it? Kristina says, no. She said nothing. And that makes it even worse.

Ava says she assumes Natalia is here to see Sonny. He isn’t home yet. She’s expecting him very shortly though. Natalia is welcome to wait if she’d like. Natalia says, okay, thanks, and Ava invites her in. She asks if she can get Natalia a drink, but Natalia says, no thank you. She actually comes bearing alcohol because she remembered that single malt scotch Sonny like so much, so she picked him up a bottle. Just to say thank you for inviting her to the Quartermaine wedding. Ava says, that’s so thoughtful. She heard it was a very lively affair, especially the reception. Natalia says, was it?

Jack slips out of his room wearing the scrubs. He goes out to a stairwell, leans on the railing, and says, son of a bitch. Valentin is at the top of the stairs, and Jack says, it took him long enough to make this happen. Valentin says he’s got to give Jack credit. Not everyone would stab themselves in the stomach. He doesn’t know how many people would have thought of that, since there are other ways to communicate. Jack says he’ll remember to tell Valetin that when he’s the one behind bars, and Valentin says, the last time they talked, they agreed they weren’t going to see each other face to face. So this better be important.

Jack says he has information that couldn’t wait, and Valentin walks down to him. Valentin asks where he got this information from and how much did it cost, and Jack says, suddenly now money’s an object? Nothing. It was completely free. It came from Carly Spencer. Valentin says, now Jack has his attention, and Jack says, Carly came to visit him in Pentenville. She wanted information, then let something of her own slip. He knows which three letter agency is investigating Pikeman – FBI. Valentin says, he heard that from Carly Spencer? and Jack says, it seems the FBI relocated an agent to Port Charles, specifically to investigate Pikeman. John Cates. Valetin says he’s aware of John’s presence, and Jack tells him, do the math. If the FBI went through the trouble to bring Agent Cates here, they can safely assume they’re also the ones responsible for creating Alan Jacobs aka Jason Morgan and having him infiltrate Pikeman. Valentin says, now they know that Jason Morgan is reporting to the FBI.

In the interrogation room, Ann comes in with a recorder and tells Jason, let’s start from the beginning, shall we? He says, she knows everything he already knows. He was working, and two men he didn’t recognize came into the warehouse. They opened fire; he fired back. One is dead and the other one ran away. She asks if he has any idea who might have sent the gunmen, but he says, no. She asks if anyone has threatened to kill him, and he says, ever? She says, recently, say, where it could have been overheard by witnesses, like outside the MetroCourt ballroom for instance. Diane walks in and says, okay. Not another word. An officer tells Anna that he’s sorry. He tried to stop her. Anna says she can handle it. Don’t worry. He leaves, and she says, Diane got here fast. Diane says she happened to be in the area and came right here when she got the call. So she’d like a word with him alone. Anna says, fine, and leaves. Diane asks Jason, who tried to kill you? and he says, there were two shooters. One’s dead and one got away, but she has to get to Sonny and warn him that the cops are going to come to question him.

Sonny says he doesn’t need Carly’s permission to tell him what’s best for his daughter, and starts to walk away. She says, come on. Wait. She knows how much he loves Kristina and how much he cares about that baby, but if he pressures Blaze to intervene with Kristina, he’s only going to push Kristina further away. He has to let Kristina reach out to him first. He says, what if she doesn’t? and Carly says, it might take longer than he wants, but he has to let Kristina come to terms with this on her own, and she’ll definitely contact him. Despite what Kristina saw him do, she loves him fiercely, and that doesn’t just go away. But if he tries to manipulate Blaze into talking to Kristina, Kristina is going to find out, and she’s going to see it as him going behind her back and that’s just going to make everything worse. He says he knows what’s best for his daughter and goes to the elevator. His phone rings, and he says, Brick, can this wait?… How many shots were fired?… Cops there?… All right. Thanks for letting him know. He’ll handle it.

Blaze says, considering the fact that Molly didn’t bring up what Sonny did to Dex means that she trusts Kristina, but Kristina says, really? They don’t even trust her to go to the grocery store or take a yoga class. Does Blaze think they’re going to be okay with the fact that she’s been hiding from them? That she freaked out in a public restroom after seeing her father brutally attack someone? Blaze says, she doesn’t even know that Molly told TJ, but Kristina says, she told TJ. If she hasn’t yet, she’s about to. This is so bad. Now they’re going to start putting more restrictions on her… Blaze says she knows Kristina is worried about a lot of things right now – her dad and the baby – but please don’t let herself spin out. Molly and TJ are rational people… Kristina says, Blaze doesn’t know them like she does, and Blaze says, Kristina… but Kristina says, no. She trusted Blaze. She trusted her more than anyone and Blaze has completely betrayed her. She walks out. (Please don’t let them break up. They have more chemistry than all the other couples put together.)

Diane says, Sonny just ordered a hit on Jason, and he’s worried about her warning him? and Jason says, she’s Sonny’s lawyer. It’s her job. She says she’s his lawyer too. And right now, she’s a lot more worried about keeping him alive than she is warning the man who just tried to have him killed. Her phone rings, and she sees it’s Sonny. Jason says, she should answer it. Go ahead. Diane answers, and Sonny says, Brick just told him there was trouble at the coffee warehouse. He rubs his forehead and says he needs her to meet him there. She says she’s sorry. She’s with another client at the moment, when Jason gestures to her. She says, hang on, putting the phone on mute, and Jason asks if that’s Sonny. She says, he wants her to meet him at the coffee warehouse, and Jason tells her, go. He’ll be fine. She says, he just shot and killed a man. He claims it’s self-defense, but there’s no guarantee the police are going to believe him. It’s more likely they won’t. He says, either Anna is going to release him or she’s not; either way, he’ll be fine. Sonny might not be. He’s going to say something incriminating if she’s not there to protect him. Diane says she’ll just assume Jason knows what he’s doing, and tells Sonny that she’s on her way. Sonny says he’ll see her there, and Jason thanks her. She says she wants him to think about something. While he’s in here worrying about Sonny, how does he know Sonny isn’t planning another hit on him? She leaves.

Ava says she takes it that means Natalia didn’t stay for the reception, but Natalia says she did. Sonny insisted she see the MetroCourt Garden all decked out for the party, so she couldn’t say no. Ava asks if she enjoyed herself, and Natalia says, it was an interesting evening. Sonny knew everybody, but she only knew her daughter, and Kristina of course (🍷). Ava asks if she stayed until the very end, and Natalia says she doesn’t know when Allison and Kristina left, but she got tired and Sonny was off socializing. She just thought she shouldn’t overstay her welcome, so she went up to bed. Ava says, it sounds like everybody had a lovely time. And it must have been nice for Sonny to see Blaze and Kristina so happy together. Just between the two of them, Kristina has been a bit of a problem child over the years. Natalia says, really (and I say, Ava, why?), and Ava says, she’s made some bad decisions. Luckily, Natalia’s daughter isn’t one of them. Natalia says, while they’re sharing, she has to say their relationship is a little too unconventional for her liking, and Ava says, in what way? Natalia says, they’re not really a normal couple, are they? Kristina is pregnant with her sister’s baby. She’s holding hands with Allison out in public. She’s scared to death someone is going to take a picture and sell it to the tabloids when her daughter’s career is taking off. It’s going to be such a scandal. Ava says, would it be? It’s 2024. She thinks most people seem to be very comfortable with both those things. And since Natalia and Sonny have struck up a friendship, she should know, career worries aside, Sonny is completely supportive of Kristina in every way, sexual identity included. Natalia says, it would seem so. She just can’t say she’s of the same mind.

Carly sees Kristina coming out of the elevator and calls to her. Kristina says she’s sorry. She was in her own head there for a minute. Carly says she knows Kristina has a lot on her mind, and Kristina says she does. Carly says, baby brain. It’s a real thing. She used to go to the freezer to get some ice cream and open the door and just stand there staring, wondering what she went there for, and the ice cream is sitting right there. (Am I pregnant???) She asks if Kristina is feeling okay, and Kristina says she feels great with the baby. Honestly, whenever she feels it kicking or moving around or making her uncomfortable, it’s kind of nice because she knows it’s safe and healthy. She knows it sounds kind of weird. Carly says, it doesn’t sound weird; it sounds perfect. Kristina says, it’s crazy how much she cares about this little life growing inside of her, considering it’s not hers. But it is hers for nine months, right? Carly says she thinks it’s amazing what Kristina is doing for her sister. It’s selfless. And this little baby may be her niece or nephew one day, but it’s always going to be a part of her. Kristina thanks her for saying that, and Carly says, just like Kristina is always going to be a part of her father.

Valentin tells Jack that they already knew Jason Morgan was working with one of the agencies. All Carly has done is confirm it was the FBI. Jack says he’s glad Valentin is taking the news so well, but it does present a problem. If Jason knows Valentin is heading up Pikeman… Valentin says, but he doesn’t. Otherwise, he’d be sharing a cell with Jack. Jack says, then don’t do anything to draw attention to himself. Leave Jason Morgan well alone.

Anna tells Jason that she just saw Diane leaving. Does he want to postpone this conversation until she can be present for it? He asks if he needs her, and she says, it’s his right. She encourages him to protect himself. He says he’s fine, and she says, okay. They found the dead guy’s ID. They put him through the system, and wouldn’t you know he’s had multiple run-ins with law enforcement. He’s a low-level member of an organization with ties to the big guys downstate. She shows him the gunman’s picture on her tablet and asks if Jason recognizes him. Jason says he’s been away for a long time, and Anna says she’ll take this as a yes. It seems his organization has done business with Sonny in the past. Jason tells her, like he said… She says, he’s been away a long time. She doesn’t believe this man was a stranger to him. She thinks Jason knows exactly who he worked for. Why doesn’t he just say it? It was Sonny who tried to have him killed.

At the warehouse, Detective Bennett says, Sonny needs to let them do their jobs, and Sonny asks what he’s talking about. This is his place. He’s checking the damage. Diane comes in and says she advised him not to talk to the police. Sonny asks where she’s been, and she says she got here as fast as she could. She introduces herself to Bennett, and he says, Detective Bennett. Please be advised that her client is a person of interest. She says, for what crime? Surely not this, because Mr. Corinthos wasn’t even in the building when shots were fired, so how could he be a person of interest? Bennett says, she’ll be able to get more information down at the station, and she says, fine. She’d like to speak with her client first, however. Please tell her that he’s not denying her client his right to speak with his attorney, because that’s not going to end well for him. He tells her, make it quick, and she says, oh, okay. Diane and Sonny go into the office, and Diane says, he knows she can’t help him unless he tells her the truth. Was he responsible for that?

Sonny says he can’t tell Diane what happened tonight, but he can tell her this, he had nothing to do with it. He wasn’t even here. Jason uses this place as his office. Maybe she should ask him the same question. She says, Jason was here tonight when two armed men broke in and started shooting at him, one of whom ended up very dead. If Sonny wants her to represent him to the very best of her ability, he has to tell her everything she needs to know before those cops take him into custody.

Anna tells Jason, sit down, and reluctantly, he does. He says he’s told her all he knows, and she asks if he has a death wish. He says, no, and she says, really? Because that’s not what it looks like. He just came within an inch of being killed tonight, and he’s still protecting Sonny. He says, he’s not… and she says, they both know that Sonny threatened to kill him the other day. How many bullets is Jason going to take for him? She gets loyalty. She understands it, but she thought he was smarter than this. He’s looking out for Sonny, and Sonny is sending people off to kill him. When does it end? And how much blood will be shed before it does?

Valentin says he’s meeting a very interesting side to Jack. Jack’s got issues, and he’s not just talking about the stitches in Jack’s side from his self-inflicted stab wound. He thinks Jack needs to relax. He thinks Jack needs to delegate, trust other people. Jack says he thinks Valentin is forgetting how he got where he is and the people who helped him do it. It took Valentin a long time to get to the top. It’ll only take him seconds – Jack looks down the stairs – to fall all the way back down. Valentin asks if they’re threatening each other, and Jack laughs. Valentin says he’s going to assume it’s the painkillers talking. So heal up and let him take care of everything. Jack says, they don’t even know what Jason told Cates about Pikeman’s operations, and Valentin says, assuming he knows anything. He may not. Jack says, Valentin wants to put their entire operation at risk over may not. Jason Morgan was smart enough to infiltrate Pikeman without getting caught. If he puts the pieces together… Valentin says, calm down. Once Jason Morgan figures things out – assuming he does – Sonny will already have taken him off the chessboard and saved them both the trouble. (Oh ho! Got it.)

Jack says he doesn’t know how long the guard will be occupied. He has to get back to his room before the guard does. Valentin says, okay, but can they get one thing straight? Once Sonny eliminates Jason, he’ll get word to Jack in Pentenville. Until then, they are not to talk to one another. Jack asks what he’s supposed to do. Stab himself again when he wants some fresh air? Valentin says, he’s an enterprising fellow. He’ll find something to do. Join a book club. Make a friend. It’ll be fine. Jack says, Valentin has been stalling for months. When the hell is Valentin going to get the charges against him dropped? Valentin says he hears Jack. He just needs a little bit more patience. Because if they shine a light on the WSB/Pikeman connection, it’s going to backfire. It’s all going to blow up in their face. So stay strong. Be patient. He has everything under control.

Kristina says, obviously, Carly knows what’s going on between her and her dad, and Carly asks if they can sit. Kristina nods, and they sit down. Carly says, Jason called her right after he broke up the fight. He told her that Kristina saw Sonny attack Dex and threaten to kill him. Kristina says, then she also knows everything Josslyn ever said about her dad is true and she’s so stupid for even arguing with her because Josslyn was right all along. Carly says she loves her daughter more than anything, but Josslyn has her own issues with Sonny, and Kristina tells her, it doesn’t even matter what Josslyn said. She knows what she saw, and she keeps seeing it over and over and over again. Watching her dad be so violent and out of control. Carly says, it must have been so awful for Kristina. She’s so sorry Kristina had to go through this. Kristina says she thinks it’s something that all of Sonny’s kids have to go through eventually, right? Carly knows that more than anyone with Michael. She’s just the idiot who took so long to finally see the truth. Carly says, she’s not an idiot, and Kristina says, not anymore, because now her eyes are wide open. And whether Dex files charges against her father or not, she’ll never forget what she saw her dad do. So now, she’s just ashamed she didn’t admit what she saw right in front of her sooner. Carly says, that’s because she wanted to see the best in Sonny. It’s because she loves her dad. Kristina says, Carly loved him too once, but does she think she really knew him?

Ava says, it sounds like Natalia doesn’t approve of her daughter’s relationship with Kristina, and Natalia tells her that she could say that. Ava says she doesn’t want to pry, but is it because they’re gay? and Natalia says, no. She’s not a prude. Whatever people do behind closed doors, that’s their own business. She just feels like gay people, or whatever alphabet soup they’re calling themselves these days, they’re flighty. They’re just not very serious about life. (Regardless of what she believes about sexual identity, that’s an odd statement to make.) Ava says she doesn’t think that’s true at all, but Natalia tells her that she just said herself that Kristina has had her own problems with bad decisions. Ava says, years ago. She was younger. You could say the same thing about a lot of straight people too. Kristina’s really gotten herself together. She works hard. She’s very serious about her baby. Natalia says, that choice of words is very interesting because it’s not really her baby now, is it? and Ava says, not in the way Natalia is talking about it, no. Natalia says, right. So she’s going to be pregnant for nine months, give birth, and just hand the baby over. To her, it just seems like Kristina and Allison think, wouldn’t it be so fun to have a baby because we don’t have to do any of the hard work or be serious about it. What are they going to do? Visit the child every once in a while, or take it to an amusement park sometimes? (I don’t think she understands how this works.) Ava says she’s sorry if this offends Natalia, but she thinks that is just a very unfortunate way to look at this beautiful thing that Kristina is doing for her sister. Natalia says, Ava is entitled to her opinion, as is she. She does try to stay open-minded. It’s just that if her way of thinking is considered old fashioned, so be it. (It’s not even old fashioned; it’s just weird.)

Anna says she knows how deep Jason’s loyalty to Sonny goes. She used to look at him through rose colored glasses herself. But what if the person he used to know no longer exists? Or worse, it was an illusion all along, and Sonny never really was the man Jason believed him to be? (That would be one long ruse.) An officer comes in with an evidence bag containing a phone and says, forensics thought Anna would want to look at what they found. She thanks him and he leaves. She puts on gloves and tells Jason that it might have been useful for reporting back to whoever it was that ordered the kill.

Natalia gets up and asks Ava to do her a favor and make sure Sonny gets her gift. Ava says, of course (🍷). She’ll walk Natalia out. Ava opens the door and says she enjoyed their chat. They should do it again sometime. Natalia says, perhaps, and leaves. Ava closes the door and sits down. She sees that her phone was still on record and listens to Natalia saying that she just feels like gay people, or whatever alphabet soup they’re calling themselves these days, are flighty and not very serious about life. She half-smiles.

Carly tells Kristina that she married a complicated man, and she knew that going in. And without making excuses for Sonny, he was capable of many things – great love, great anger. She watched Sonny have incredible highs and amazing lows, but he was never downright cruel. He always had a reason for doing what he did, and he never hurt someone just because he could. Kristina asks if she thinks he’s the same man now, or does she think he’s changed? and Carly says, that’s hard to answer because they’re not as close as they used to be, so she doesn’t know. But what she does know is the bond that Kristina has with him. Her father loves her more than anything. He brags about her all the time. He would give up his life for her. So she has to decide how much that matters, and where it fits into the relationship she has with Sonny, along with the stuff she’s learned about him recently. About to cry, Kristina says, what if it doesn’t fit at all? and Carly takes her hand and says, then she’s going to have to really think about if she can live her life without her dad.

Sonny tells Diane that he’s been trying to figure out what those guys wanted, but nothing makes any sense. They’re a coffee warehouse. It’s not like they have product here that anybody wants to steal. They don’t keep a large amount of cash here. He opens a desk drawer, takes out a metal box, and says, they do have small bills for cash expenses. He opens the box and says, everything is right there. Does she see that? She says, all right. So it wasn’t about the money. They must have had some other target in mind. He says, whatever they wanted, they didn’t get it, and Jason made them pay for breaking in. So why is it his problem?

The guard sees the door to Jack’s room is open a bit and hurries in. Jack raises the hand that has the cuff on it and says, miss me? The guard closes the door, and Jack smiles.

Anna tells Jason, only one number in the call history. She’d really like to know who it belongs to. She dials the number, and it rings a few times. Valentin says, is it done… Just tell him if it’s been done. Anna looks stunned, and Valentin frowns and hangs up.

Tomorrow, Chase tells Brook that it’s the best way to pay tribute to his dad; Elizabeth talks to Finn about his drinking; Drew asks how Carly feels about the possibility of that; and Sonny says he has to confess something.

🔎 Reviewing the Situation…

I have some things coming up in my life that, while positive, will require a lot of my time, so I had to rethink what I’m doing with my time now. I adore GH and while it might sound weird, I even enjoy typing it out. It’s sort of like being sucked into their world and leaving mine behind for a while. However, the reality shows have become another story.

Personally, I think the Housewives are dead, but Andy won’t let them lie down. I’m not sure what it is about these shows in general, but they’re all starting to smell like The Real World did when it took a turn from being incredibly interesting and something to look forward to, to a mess of drunken hot tub sex. It’s like they start off well, but within a few seasons, it turns into one big screaming match, or worse. I have the feeling production has a lot to do with it, possibly using cattle prods to urge the cast to create drama for screen time. I’m sure alcohol doesn’t hurt either. It isn’t quite as bad in the shows where there’s an actual job involved, like Below Deck, but where the hell are they getting some of these crew members? And who knows what will happen with Vanderpump Rules? I think Lisa should move on rather than mother a new brood at SUR. It’s all been too much of a steady diet of argument and angst. In an informal poll of my friends, we all agreed that we’d rather less arguing, more fun.

Perhaps production is catching on. The most embarrassing Housewives of all, New Jersey, aren’t even having a Reunion due to animosity. (See below.) And another season at all is questionable. Good job, Teresa. But here’s a thought. Maybe it’s time to scrap the whole thing and do something fresh. Or at least actually real. The exception seems to be the 90 Day Fiancé franchise on TLC. The first time I watched it wasn’t on purpose. I thought it sounded stupid, but I was waiting for the next show to come on. I was immediately hooked and have loved the spinoffs. These people are going through a real process and have real problems. Not whether or not they can get on a yacht with their sister-in-law or if they can be in the same room as their lying, cheating ex while they’re living their best life.

While I won’t leave them behind totally, it’s time for them to go into the background. Less time spent with others’ stories and more time spent on my own. So recaps will be less detailed, some scrapped altogether, and GH possibly only a couple of times a week, but always on a Friday. I hope those of you who read this blog will come along for the overhaul, and if there are ever any ideas for change or improvement, let me know.

Below Deck Mediterranean

Aesha is back as chief stew and so is Captain – teamwork makes the dream work – Sandy, on a 180-foot yacht called the Mustique. This season is in Greece, and from the preview, it looks like there will be some crying too. No doubt after drinking. There’s already a leak in the forward cabin, so we’re off to a good start.

Iain (pronounced Ian), who was called Mr. Magoo by his parents prior to landing on his misspelled name, is the bosun. Chef Jono, who calls himself a culinary architect, will be providing the food porn this season. Elena is back and aspiring to be a chief stew. Nathan, Joe, and Gael are the deckhands, and Bri is another stew. Bri says she has room to improve with her cocktail skills, but I get an inexperienced overall vibe. Elena thinks the crew is exceptionally good looking, but it’s rare when one of them isn’t. There are no ugly people in yachting. The deckhands are bummed to find out Gael is taken, by an engineer no less.

Influencer Jacob is the first primary, bringing along his fellow internet besties. In Aesha’s interview, she can’t believe these kids are taking pictures and living it up on a superyacht, while she’s living in a van with her boyfriend and sh*tting in a bucket. When the provisions come in, the provisioner is having some issues, so there’s no wine, prosecco, or champagne. At the protocol meeting, Captain Sandy tells them, pressure makes us better. I must be perfect by now. Luckily Aesha finds one bottle of champagne in the crew mess for the welcome.

The guests are very young and very excited. Captain Sandy finally calls the provisioner, not asking, but telling them to send wine. The provisioner agrees to send over a few things until their bigger order can get there. There’s still no rosé or red wine, and the captain tells them, it’s unacceptable.

Athens is the oldest capital city in Europe, and the captain points out all the places that aren’t covered in tourists, but will be now. Like that lake in the Progressive commercial. Bri grew up with a maid and finds laundry a real challenge. She takes so long, Aesha wonders if she’s blowing on the garments to dry them. In Bri’s interview, we find out she’s never made it through a season in her three years of yachting. There’s the usual battle with the slide, and not surprisingly, the guests record everything for social media posterity. They’re not too happy about the laundry delay and not wrong in saying, it’s a great service, but if it can’t be fulfilled, it’s bullsh*t. Aesha finds out provisions have gone in the wrong water taxi and tells the provisioner, your company f***ing sucks. The chef doesn’t have lobster either, and decides to work with the crab legs he wisely bought.

Elena travels with her costumes, which she says are 10% PG-13, and wears a sequined top with metallic spandex pants to serve dinner. There’s a disco party afterward, even though this bunch wasn’t a twinkle in their parents’ eyes in the 70s. Maybe even their grandparents. There’s a confetti gun involved, and all I can think is, someone is going to have to clean up that mess. Late night munchies are requested after the guests get in the hot tub, and in her interview, Elena says she feels overwhelmed and needs help. She tries to wake Jono to rustle up some snacks, and he says, I don’t think so. Nice, since a good portion of the tip relies on food. Rather than press the issue, Elena tells the guests that all they have is grilled cheese. One of them wonders what’s in grilled cheese. Maybe he should actually take a look at the internet sometime instead of just posting content.

While Elena is wondering what the hell she’s going to do, somehow the guests coral Gael and demand the drinks they’ve been waiting for. Gael ends up helping Elena out, and in Elena’s interview she says, Jono’s selfish behavior is making her look bad. She gives waking him up another try, and in Jono’s interview, he says he hates being woken up. Aw, me too, princess. Elena tells him that she’s giving him another chance before this becomes a problem for him. It isn’t going to be good for him. In his interview, Jomo says, bitch, are you stupid? This is not going to be good for you.  

Next time, missing pants, Elena in tears, and the first crew night out.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Jason and Carly light the memorial candle, as the minister says, this candle burns in the memory of those we’ve loved and lost. Our loved ones may be gone, but they’re never far from our hearts.

Sonny lies unconscious, the Tan-O burning around him. He opens his eyes and says, Carly.

Nina tells the fire chief, he has to find a way inside. Mike/Sonny is trapped in there; they have to get him out. He says they’re doing the best they can. Phyllis says, she heard the fire captain; it’s too dangerous. Nina says, too dangerous to save a life? and Phyllis says, there’s no way he survived this much time in that fire. He’s gone, and they have to accept that.

Jax says, come on, Maxie. Pick up the damn phone.

At the wedding, Maxie looks at her phone. Austin says, catering crisis? and she says, Jax knows she’s at the wedding. Why is he calling? Across the aisle, Epiphany clears her throat, and gives Maxie a stern look. The minister reads from Genesis about man and wife becoming one flesh.

Nina asks Jax what he’s doing, and he says he’s trying to reach Maxie. He needs to tell her that Peter set a fire in Nixon Falls to kill her and Phyllis. Mostly, she has to know Peter is alive and on the run. Nina says, forget Peter. They have to get Sonny out of that building before it’s too late.

Sonny struggles to get up.

The minister says, blah-blah-blah about marriage, and all the couples glance at each other. He says, as Jason and Carly give themselves to each other today, let their love be an example – Gladys steals Novak’s pocket square to dab at her eyes – and inspiration to them all.  Austin asks if Maxie is okay, and she says she was just thinking about how happy she was when she was marrying Peter. That would have been an epic mistake. But watching Carly and Jason just feels right.

Nina makes a move to go back in the Tan-O, but Jax grabs her. He says she heard the fire captain. The building is on fire. Any attempt to rescue Sonny now will just result in more loss of life. There’s nothing they can do. She says, he’s still alive, and she has to get him out, but he asks how she’s going to do that? The front door’s blocked, the back hallway’s engulfed in flames. She says, he’s in there. They have to find him. They have to find Mike. Jax says, Nina, and she says, what does the name matter? There’s a man trapped in a burning building. They have to help him. She collapses, crying in Jax’s arms.

Sonny tries to push the beam off his back.

The minister says, marriage is not to be entered into unadvisedly or lightly, but reverently and deliberately, and in accordance with the purposes it was instituted by God. Only for making babies. Just kidding; he didn’t say that last part. Into this union, Carly and Jason come to be joined. If any of them there today can show just cause why they may not be lawfully married, speak now or forever hold thier peace. I have to mention, I’ve been to a lot of weddings, and even had one myself, and have never, ever heard this at a real wedding. Monica tells Ned, she keeps thinking Tracy is going to barge in there, and do anything to keep Carly from marrying into this family again. No one says anything, but there’s a lot of looking around. The minister says, good. They can proceed. He asks them if they have any reason not to get married, and to say it now before God and all these witnesses. That’s a new one on me.

Sonny finally gets the beam off, and stands up, but he falls back down to his knees, and coughs.

Carly and Jason begin their vows. I study Carly’s floral hair ornament. Ned tells Olivia, it reminds him of their wedding, and she says, her too. Gladys noisily blows her nose into Novak’s pocket square. Trina says, Joss looks so beautiful, and Cameron says he knows. The minster asks if the audience witnesses will do everything in their power to uphold this union, and everyone says they will. Novak and Buscema exchange looks.

Nina says she has to find Mike, which is getting pretty old. Jax says, it’s no use. He’s not going to let her throw her life away. Phyllis says she loves Mike too, but it’s too late to save him. I might be able to take this more seriously if Nina didn’t keep looking around like Carrie did at the end of Carrie. Nina says, it’s not too late, and Jax says he’s going to get them checked out by doctors, but Nina says she won’t leave Mike. She sinks to her knees, crying, and saying, it’s not too late.

Carly and Jason say all the traditional stuff, and exchange rings.

Jax tells Nina that he’s taking her and Phyllis over to the clinic to get checked out. They help Nina up.

The minister pronounces Carly and Jason, husband and wife. Everyone applauds. He says, those whom God has joined together, let no one put asunder. Everyone chuckles, which is really weird.

Jax asks if Nina is all right, and she shrugs off his arm. She and Phyllis watch the Tan-O burn, and Phyllis says, it’s all gone. She collapses, and Jax calls for a medic. Nina says, oh my God, and runs for the back of the Tan-O. Jax says, Nina, no, like she might listen. Behind the Tan-O, Sonny is walking out as Nina runs up. He slumps down, and she holds him.

Jason kisses his bride. Everyone applauds again, and they get a standing ovation.

Nina rocks Sonny, and tells him that he’s going to be okay.

Josslyn gives Carly the bouquet, and says she’s happy for them. Carly says she’s happy too, and Jason says, him too. The Wedding March plays, and they walk out to more applause. Outside the chapel, Jason asks what they do now, and Carly says, they shake a lot of hands and kiss a lot of cheeks. He says, that’s one option, and she asks what he’s talking about. He says, let’s go, takes her hand, and they jet.

Jax runs over to where Nina is with Sonny, and she says, he made it. Jax calls for the paramedics, who bring a stretcher over. Jax pulls her away, and suggests he take her to the clinic, but she says she’s not leaving. He almost died because of her, and she’s not going to let him die. He has too much to live for.

Olivia tells Ned and Monica, when she first heard about Carly marrying Jason, she thought it was all kinds of wrong. Sonny’s not gone even a year. Ned asks if she told Carly this, and she says, she would have, if Carly had asked, but luckily she didn’t, so she kept her big mouth shut. She’s so happy she did. Did he see Carly? She was so happy. She was positively glowing. Monica says she certainly had her doubts. Why wouldn’t she? Carly single-handedly destroyed AJ’s life (she says this like AJ had nothing to do with it). But a lot of time has passed, and Jason seems genuinely happy. Ned asks if she’s saying she approves, and she says she doesn’t know. Maybe she’s just a sucker for weddings.

Diane asks Spinelli if he’s feeling a bit melancholy, and he says, he and Ellie agreed to part ways, but he does miss her. He knows in his heart, it’s for the best. She would not have approved of today’s events. Diane says, the ceremony or the guest list? and he says, he understands the necessity of having certain business associates in attendance, but doesn’t she think they put a kind of pal on the festivities? She says, considering Carly and Jason got married to send a message to said guests, it only makes sense they’d be there to receive it. He asks if she doesn’t think they detract from the ambiance, and she laughs, saying, oh please. She thinks Carly and Jason could have cared less. She thinks they were completely oblivious. He says, that’s true. The bride and the groom seemed to have eyes for no one but each other.

Willow says she’s so proud of Michael, and he says, for handing off the ring? She says, yes. For not doing that thing he does where he pretends he can’t find the ring. That is so lame. He says, with Jason as the groom and his mom as the bride? Is she kidding him?

Austin tells Maxie, if it’s going to make her unhappy to talk to Jax, don’t do it. She says she’s not even thinking about Jax, and he’s going to have to wait. She has a job to do. She goes over to Diane, who tells her the ceremony was gorgeous, and the flowers are beautiful. Congratulations on a job… Maxie says, don’t compliment her just yet. They haven’t even gotten to the reception venue. She turns to Spinelli, and says, and on that subject, the DJ has not checked in yet. Can he check on that for her? She’ll text him his contact information. Spinelli says, on it, and leaves.

Gladys says if Brando wants to check on his baby mama before the reception, don’t worry about her. Vincent will make sure she gets there safely. He says, except the Novaks do make him worry.

Woo approaches Novak and Buscema, and says, it was a lovely ceremony, don’t they think? Novak says, no doubt about it. They’re legally married now. Buscema says, which makes them twice as dangerous in his book. 

Bobbie wonders where the bride and groom are, and Epiphany says she thought the receiving line was going to be at the church. Josslyn says, her mom and Jason wouldn’t just take off, would they? but Michael says, they’re not here. Josslyn says, so the question is, where’d they go? 

Jason and Carly go to where she was getting dressed, and he says he can’t believe she came with him, no questions asked. She says, he knows she trusts him completely, and he says, it’s the no questions part that surprised him. She says she thought he could use a break from all the pomp and circumstance. She was impressed he made it through the entire ceremony without wanting to bolt. He says he’d never leave her, and kisses her hand. They sit, and she says, there was this moment when she looked up at Monica smiling at her. And her mom had tears in her eyes, and Josslyn and Michael were grinning from ear to ear. He says, it’s not just about them. It’s about their friends and family; their people. She says she loves the sound of that. Their friends, their family, their life together. He says, starting now, and they almost kiss, but Josslyn and Michael walk in. Josslyn says, don’t let them interrupt, and Carly says, it’s not fair; sneaking up on them. They’re newlyweds, remember? Josslyn says she knows. Everyone’s out there waiting for them. That’s why she and Michael came to find them. Carly says she promised the church secretary that she’d clear out of there, and she wanted to get started. Michael asks if she doesn’t have people for that, and Josslyn says she doesn’t know if Carly has people, but she has a maid of honor and a best man. That sounds like a job for them. Michael says, not to mention, there’s a wedding planner that’s going to have a major breakdown if Carly deviates from her schedule any longer. Carly says, it sounds like they’re being kicked out, and Jason says he thinks so. Carly says, all kidding aside, she thanks Josslyn and Michael for standing up for them and making the day special. She loves them so much. Josslyn tells Jason, she’d say welcome to the family, but he’s already a part of it. Jason says he’ll take it anyway, and they hug. Michael awkwardly hugs Jason, and tells them, get out here.   

Epiphany asks if Bobbie has any guess where her daughter and brand new son-in-law are, and Bobbie says, no. Her biggest worry was if anyone was going to object. Epiphany asks if Bobbie really thought someone was going to do that, and Bobbie says, she didn’t? Epiphany says, like who? Bobbie says she happens to know Jax is not happy with who Josslyn’s new stepdad is Jason, and Epiphany says she’s glad he realized the ceremony wasn’t the place to air his objections. Bobbie says, he’s not entirely wrong, but he’s not taking into account the bond between Jason and Carly, and how committed they are to each other and their family, which of course (🍷) includes Josslyn. Maxie comes out, and asks where the bride and groom are. See this schedule on her phone? Every minute of the day is planned, and there’s no room for Jason and Carly to go rogue. Olivia says, here are the newlyweds, and Maxie goes over to them, asking where they’ve been. Carly says, they just needed a minute alone, and Epiphany says, mm-hm. Well, they’re here now. Let them congratulate the couple. Everyone applauds.

Inside the chapel, Gladys tells Novak that they should join everyone. He tells her to go be with her son. He’ll be there in a moment. She says, he’d better, and leaves. Novak asks Buscema what he thinks. Should they join everyone? Buscema says, why not? Carpe diem. Novak says, seize the day, just in case someone didn’t know what that meant, and Woo says, most people forget the rest of that famous quote. Quam minimum credula postero. Buscema says, which means? and she says, don’t put your trust in tomorrow.

Outside, Epiphany is hugging Jason, and Bobbie says, that’s one long hug. Epiphany says, is she kidding? Jason is the groom. It’s the one time he has to let her hug him. She goes back for seconds, and everyone laughs. Monica says, congratulations, and Ned tells Carly, welcome to the family… again. Olivia says she’s glad to have another ally, and Carly says she can’t wait. Woo approaches, and tells Carly, it was a beautiful ceremony. Thanks again for inviting her. Carly says, of course (🍷), and Woo says, and the groom. She hugs Jason, whispers something in his ear, and tells Carly that she’ll see her at the reception. Woo leaves, and Carly looks at Jason.

At the clinic, Nina coughs, and Jax says, she needs to get herself checked, but she says she’s fine. She coughs some more, and he says, if a doctor says she’s fine, he’ll stop bugging her, but she may have an injury she’s not aware of. She says, she may see a doctor later, but right now, her focus is on Mike. He was in that fire a lot longer than she was. Jax gives her a look, and she says she knows who he is – Sonny. She’s not delusional. He tells her, he didn’t say she was, but she hasn’t been thinking clearly for months. He knows there’s no love lost between her and Carly, and she may not care how Carly is affected by this, but Sonny is a father. His kids have been missing him for almost a year, and that includes Josslyn. He asks if she remembers when they were dating, how close she and Josslyn were. Josslyn’s been missing her stepfather for months. That must mean something to her. This has to stop. She understands, right? He’s not keeping this secret. Keeping Sonny from his kids would just be cruel. A doctor comes out, and Nina asks how he is, but the doctor keeps moving. Phyllis follows, and Nina asks her how he is. She says, he’s conscious, but he’s inhaled a lot of smoke. Nina says, but he’s going to be okay, right? and Phyllis says, the doctor told her it was a miracle he survived. Nina asks if she can see him, and Phyllis looks at Jax. She says, he wants to see Nina, but Jax says, don’t do it. Let the doctors deal with it. Nina goes in anyway.

Nina goes into the examining room, and Sonny sits up. He’s wearing and oxygen mask, and Nina says he should lie back down after everything he’s been through. He asks if she’s okay, and she says she’s fine, thanks to him and Jax. She calls him Mike, and says if he hadn’t risked his life… He takes the mask off, and says, his name’s not Mike. It’s Sonny. She’s always known that. He remembers everything. And he means everything. Oh man, is he going to be all mean about this now?

Michael tells Josslyn, people are waiting, and she says she knows. She was just thinking, most of her friends don’t believe in marriage. That makes complete sense. Her mom’s been divorced, her dad’s been divorced, Trina’s parents are divorced, Cam’s mom is divorced… but she doesn’t know. Seeing her mom and Jason be so excited to commit to each other, she finds it refreshing and encouraging. Or is she just being hopelessly naïve? Michael says he’d use a lot of words to describe her, but naïve isn’t one of them. She says, the whole notion that everyone gets just one great love in their life, if that was the case, she’s already had Oscar. Does that mean she’s going to be alone for the next 60 years? Is that what the universe wants? He says he can’t imagine any universe wanting her to be alone for the rest of her life, and she says, what about him and Willow? She knows the first time they got married, it was to secure custody of Wiley, but are they getting married again, this time because they’re in love? He says he doesn’t want to get ahead of things, but it’s definitely a possibility. She hugs him, and says, it’s such a happy day, and he suggests they get out there. They don’t want to miss what happens next.   

Gladys comes back into the chapel, and tells Novak that she knows he said to go along without him, but patience isn’t her strong suit. She just doesn’t want him to miss anything. He says he’s sorry, but something’s come up. He has business to attend to. She says she was looking forward to dancing with him, and he says, if he wraps it up quickly, he’ll be happy to dance with her. Brando comes in, and asks if everything is okay. Novak tells him to make sure his mother has a good time. He has to sort out some business. He’ll join her if he can. Gladys says she’s going to hold him to that, and Brando suggests they go join everyone. Buscema says, from what I hear, the reception is going to be a real blow out. Brando takes note of this, and I say, oh come on.

Austin tells Maxie, the guests are happy, the bride and groom are smiling. Nice job, wedding planner Maxie. She can relax for a little while now. She says, a wedding planner’s job is not done until the last tuna tartare has been eaten, and the final dance is over. She wonders why Jax called. He never calls her. He knows she’s at a wedding. Granted, a wedding he’s not very happy about, but still, it’s Carly and Jason’s big day. Spinelli flings himself at Jason, hugging him.

Phyllis tells Jax, it was one thing to hear the truth about Mike being Sonny; it was another to see it for herself. That man with Mike’s face is someone different. Kind and appreciative, but a  whole different energy. He says, she just met Sonny Corinthos. She says, Nina knew who he was the entire time, and he says, unfortunately, yes, she did.

Nina says she can see it in Sonny’s eyes; he’s different now. He says it took a near-death experience to remind him of who he was before he washed up in Nixon Falls. She says, the good news is, she doesn’t have to lie anymore. They can start from scratch. Knowing who he was before, and knowing the kind of connection they made together… He says, she really believes that? and she says, the name Mike might be false, but the way they feel about each other is real. He asks why she did it, and she says, if he remembers everything, his memories as Sonny, but also as Mike, then he already knows the answer.

Maxie asks if everyone has their bubble makers ready, and Epiphany says, locked and loaded. Maxie says, okay, people. It’s time for bubbles. Inside, Michael tells Jason and Carly they’re going to be drowning bubbles. Carly takes Jason’s hand, and they walk out between the two lines of guests. Bubbles fill the air, and they kiss.

In a limo, Buscema says, now that he and Novak are alone, not to mention away from Gladys, they can speak freely. He knows Novak has questions. Novak asks if the plan was Cyrus’s idea, and Buscema says, Cyrus is in maximum security; that’s not changing. But Cyrus is right about one thing. The world is about to be a better place without Jason and Carly in it.

In their limo, Carly tells Jason, they did it. Even with a church full of Quartermaines, Corinthoses, and business associates, lightning didn’t strike the steeple. He says, let’s not get over-confident. They still have the whole reception to get through. She says she’s not worried. They deserve their happy ending, and they’re going to get it – or die trying. Why the hell would she put it that way?

On the phone, Epiphany says she understands… She’ll see them soon. Bobbie says, let her guess. GH needs her. Epiphany nods, and says, save me a piece of cake? and Bobbie says she will.

Diane says, Spinelli doesn’t approve of Maxie’s date? and Spinelli says, Dr. Austin Gatlin-Holt. He barely knows the man. Diane laughs, and says, she highly doubts that. He says he barely knows Austin personally. He’s well acquainted with Austin’s history and online presence. She says, he did a deep dive, and he says, for good reason. He’s challenging Edward’s will; he wants a piece of ELQ. She asks, who’s representing him? and he says he believes it’s Scotty. She wonders why no one reached out to her. She did the probate for Edward’s will, and knows all of the provisions. What say the two of them get to know Dr. Gatlin-Holt a little better? He says, by all means. If she’ll excuse the observation, he does seem to be hovering a little close to Maxie. Perhaps they could give her a break. He’s sure she would be most grateful. As would he. Diane laughs, and they walk over. Diane says, Dr. Austin Gatlin-Holt, I presume, and introduces herself. She says, you’re a Quartermaine. They’re just coming out of the woodwork. Come. Tell me things about yourself. He excuses himself, and Maxie says, did Spinelli ask Diane to do that? He says he thought she might want Austin out of the room when he passed along the instructions from the DJ. She says, right. Did the DJ get back to him? She steers him out at a fast clip.

Gladys tells Brando, wasn’t that sweet of Vincent to promise to meet her at the reception? Brando says, that’s not exactly what he heard, but maybe if they’re lucky, Novak’s business will keep him busy all night. She says she hopes fatherhood teaches him to be more trusting of people. Not everyone is out for number one.

Sonny asks Nina how he’s supposed to know the reasons for her keeping his true identity a secret. She tells him, think back to when she and Phyllis were trapped in the fire. He told her that he loved her, and it gave her the strength to fight for her life, and survive. Doesn’t that prove to him that what they have is real? He says, he can’t do it. He’s got to see his wife. He gets off the examining table, and she says, if he leaves there, she wants him to know something. That she honestly loves him. He tells her, don’t say that.

Carly says, when they were in the receiving line, Mrs. Woo whispered something to Jason. What did she say? He says, she was confirming something he already knew.

Buscema looks at his watch, and tells Novak, the surprise should be happening at any moment. Novak says, Gladys took his pocket square. Like he’d want it back after she blew her nose in it. Buscema says, relax. The device has been planted. Mr. and Mrs. Morgan’s love story is about to come to a violent end. Something blinks from underneath the car.

Carly tells the driver, step on it. They can’t wait to celebrate with their family and friends.

A button is pressed, and there’s an explosion near the chapel.

What I Watched Today

(rambling, random thoughts & annoyingly detailed recaps from real time TV watching)

General Hospital

Ava comes into the hospital and asks if Epiphany can give her some information on a patient that was brought in last night, a certain attorney. Epiphany says she’s not Scotty’s family, but Ava says she is a very important client. Epiphany says she can only give the information to his family, and Ava stomps of. PC Pioneer Wyatt approaches the desk, and Epiphany asks if she can help him, but he says he thinks he can be of help to one of their patients.

Ava hears Anna talking to Britt about Scotty’s condition. Britt says, he’s still disoriented, but despite parachuting out of a plane unconscious, he has no broken bones or serious injuries. Jordan asks if she can see him, and Anna says, the sooner they talk to him, the sooner they can unravel this story about him literally crashing into Finn’s campsite. Britt says, at least he’s safe and sound, which is more than she can say about her mother.

Obrecht wakes up wearing silk pajamas in a beautiful bed. She says, where am I? and calls for Scotty.

Ava sneaks into Scotty’s room, and he wakes up saying, my schnitzel, my Liesl. Ava asks if it’s really true he dropped from the sky, but he says he doesn’t know. He’s in a hospital bed, isn’t he? He looks around and says he guesses so. She says she’s so glad he’s okay. She hopes he knows that. He takes her hand, and says he didn’t know she still cared about him. She says of course (🍷) she does; of course (🍷) she cares. It’s been six weeks since he filed for her divorce. She needs to know if it’s gone through.

A waitress brings a check to Spencer at the MetroCourt, and he tells her to put it on his account. She says her manager said he’s no longer on the account. He says, thanks, dad, and Esme says lunch is on her. He says he guesses it’s true what his grandmother said. His independence is dependent on his father’s money. Esme thinks it’s high time he and his dad got past their differences, but he says, not when his dad accused him of being Ava’s stalker. She wonders where he’d get such an outrageous idea, and Spencer says Nikolas stabbed him. She says, with a fake knife. He says he didn’t know it was fake when he saw it. How can he ever forgive Nikolas? She says she doesn’t know. Ask his dad. He turns around to see Nikolas behind him.

Trina walks into the gallery, answering her phone. It’s Jax, calling from the Spring Ridge visiting area. He says, it’s Josslyn’s dad. Does she have a minute? She asks if Josslyn is okay, and Jax says she’s fine. In fact, she cooked him a lovely dinner last night. She says she knows, she helped Josslyn get ready. He says the marinara sauce was the highlight, and she says, didn’t he love it? She told Josslyn it would be epic. He says he thought for sure Josslyn picked it up from a specialty gourmet store, but then she told him that Trina was given the jar when they came to Nixon Falls to pick him up. She says, pretty spectacular, right? He says, it was pretty memorable. In fact, he’s dying to meet the person who made it.

Epiphany is on the beginning credits! I don’t always see them, so she might have been there before, but I’m excited.

Trina says she never met the person who made the sauce. All she knows is, the lady who runs the roadhouse in Nixon Falls… She forgot the name. He says, the Tan-O? and she says, that’s it. She said the bartender made it. He says, she didn’t happen to mention his name, did she? She says, no, why? and he says he guesses Josslyn’s never told her about his work. He’s a venture capitalist, and he’s always looking for new investments. This sauce was so good, he’s thinking of pursuing it. She says, Nina Reeves is friends with the nice lady who owned the bar. She’s sure Nina will know the name of the bartender. He says she’s right. If anyone knows, it’s Nina. He flashes back to thinking he saw Sonny in a cowboy hat when he was on the stretcher, and thanks Trina, saying, she’s been a great help. Alexis comes out and says, clearly Jax didn’t come to cheer her up. What’s wrong?

Spencer asks if this was Esme’s idea, and Nikolas says, don’t blame Esme. He appreciates her reaching out and asking him to join them. She says she always thought Spencer didn’t want anything to do with him, but now that she’s seen the two of them together in person, she can see they care about each other. Spencer says, some people just have a funny way of showing it. You know, with fake knives. Esme says, come on. She knows him, and he gives as good as he gets. Nikolas sits down, and says he doesn’t blame Spencer for wanting nothing to do with him, but he needs to hear this. Everything he’s done, even staying away all those years… Spencer says, Nikolas means letting him think he died, and Nikolas says, everything he’s done, he’s done out of love.

Jordan tells Britt, local law enforcement did a thorough search of the camp area where Scotty parachuted down. There’s no indication that her mom, or anyone else, parachuted with him. Britt asks why Anna is so interested in her mother’s whereabouts. She thought they hated each other. Anna says, they’ve come to a bit of a truce, but Obrecht being missing makes her think somebody else is involved… like Peter maybe. Britt says, then where is she? Where’s the plane? God knows, her mother is resourceful, but she’s not Houdini. She can’t just vanish into thin air.

Obrecht turns on the lamp, and gets out of bed. She says, what is this place? She looks around a gorgeous room, filled with antiques, and asks what she’s doing there. She remembers being on the plane with Scotty, and putting on the oxygen mask, and says, my God. She has to find Scotty. She runs to the door, but it’s locked. She yells, open this door! They can’t do this to her. She’s Liesl Obrecht, dammit! She pounds on the door, and yells for someone to open it.

Ava tells Scotty, she’s not trying to be insensitive; she knows he’s having a stressful time of it. But from what she hears, skydiving can be very exhilarating. He says, the bum’s rush out the door? He doesn’t think so. She says, the point is, he survived. Her stalker is still out there, waiting to strike at her or her loved ones. He told her that her divorce would take six weeks to go through. Isn’t there anybody he could call to nudge it along? Jordan and Anna walk in, and Jordan asks what Ava is doing there. Ava says she’s visiting her very good friend, and her attorney; their lives may depend on it. Anna says she’s not sure badgering Scotty is going to be conducive to his recovery, and Jordan steers Ava out. Ava says she’s counting on him; don’t let her down. He gives her a thumbs up, and Anna tells him, just relax.

Epiphany tells Britt there’s someone else asking about Scotty. This is Wyatt Hoover. Wyatt says, PC Pioneer, second class. He’s a volunteer ranger and was on duty last night when Scotty landed in the campground. He guesses he could say Scotty crashed. Britt says, crashed would be more accurate. What can she do for him? He says he was cleaning up the debris from the fall, and found this. He shows her the locket, and says he thought it might belong to Mr. Baldwin. She asks to look at it, and opens it, seeing the pictures of her and Nathan. Wyatt says, it’s her, and she says, the locket belongs to my mother.

Alexis asks Jax, what’s going on? and he says he made two pretty big decisions this year, and thought he was 100% correct, but they both kind of blew up in his face. She says, but that’s old news. It’s not like him to rehash the past. He says, it’s not about the past. He has another big decision to make, and he’s on the brink of doing something he thinks is right, but what if he’s wrong again?

Ava walks into the gallery and sees Trina working. She says, it never gets old, and Trina says, what never gets old? Ava says, the love of art, and Trina says she hopes not, considering she wants a career in it. Ava says she was just thinking about the young high school kid who showed up there, wanting to be an intern. She arrived with such a natural love of art, and the desire to learn all she could. Trina says she still can’t believe her internship turned into a job. Ava’s been such a mentor to her. Wait. That doesn’t even sound right. She hopes Ava knows that when Trina thinks about her, yes, she’s a boss and mentor, but she also considers Ava a friend. Ava says, oh, Trina, her eyes tearing up, and Trina asks if she said something wrong. Ava says she’s so honored to be Trina’s friend. Trina’s been more than that to her. She’s been another daughter to her. Not that she wants to step on Trina’s mother’s toes or would want Trina to take Kiki’s place. She doesn’t use the word often or lightly, but she cherishes Trina. That’s why she knows it’s going to be so difficult to say goodbye.  

Spencer says, Nikolas loved him so much, he wanted Spencer to believe he was dead, even though he was the only parent Spencer had, since his mom passed away before he even knew her. Is that the kind of self-serving garbage Nikolas expects him to believe? Esme says his dad’s there; let him explain his point-of-view. Nikolas says, he knows sometimes his methods are wrong… okay, they’re often wrong, but Spencer has to remember, Valentin shot Nikolas with every intention of killing him. Knowing how the Cassadine family operates, he couldn’t take that chance of Spencer being targeted next. So he laid low while he planned his return and his revenge. Esme wonders why Spencer left out so many details. She finds this fascinating stuff. Spencer says, because Valentin hasn’t been a threat for years, and quite frankly, he’s not even a Cassadine. Or is Nikolas insinuating Ava’s stalker isn’t the only threat out there?

Obrecht digs through drawers, and says, there has to be a knife. Or a bobby pin. Anything to pick that lock. A man dressed like a butler, complete with white gloves, comes in with a cart carrying a meal service. She says, it’s about time. She demands to know what is going on. He says, good evening, fraulein doctor, and she asks, what’s this? He says, dinner, lifting the food cover. Compliments of her host. She says, how kind, and grabs the knife. She tells hm, open that door, or she’ll cut him like a mackerel. A man comes in behind her, and wrests the knife out of her hand. The butler says, that’s a very fine glass of wine. Her host has thought of everything.    

Britt brings Wyatt to Scotty’s room, and says he has a visitor. Scotty says, a PC Pioneer. He used to be one himself, and still buys Christmas trees from them. Wyatt thanks Scotty on behalf of the PC Pioneers. They’re grateful for his support. He says he understands from Finn, Wyatt was there and helped out when he hit the ground. Wyatt says he was able to help get Scotty out of the parachute; he has his honor badge in knots. Scotty thanks him for coming and checking on him, and Wyatt says he did want to check on Scotty, but also return something he found when he was cleaning the crash site. Britt shows him the locket, and says, it belonged to her mother. Does he recognize it? He says, when everything went haywire on the plane, Obrecht gave it to him, and he stuck it in his pocket. Britt says she was hoping her mother made it out after all, and dropped it during her own parachute jump. Wyatt says if he’d observed any other parachutes, he’d have notified the authorities, but it was only Mr. Baldwin. Britt thanks him, and says she’s sure her mother will be grateful to have it back.

Jordan tells Anna that she confirmed a plane left Port Charles yesterday. A charter carrying Obrecht and Scotty; the destination St. Lucia in the Caribbean. Anna says she knew Obrecht was going to a medical conference there, but a private plane and Scotty? She understands taking advantage of the off-season low rates, but why not fly commercial? Jordan says, another question that needs answering, although Britt touched on the biggest mystery; what happened to the plane? Anna asks what the FAA said, and Jordan says, only that the plane feel off the radar shortly after take-off. There’s no May Day call, no report of a transponder signal, no evidence of a crash. The plane could be anywhere between there and St. Lucia. Anna says, or it could mean something else altogether.

Jax tells Alexis, his first mistake was helping Nina get visitation to Wiley. He says this like Nina asked him to do it. Alexis asks what he did, and he says he was on his way to the Quartermaine gatehouse to talk to Michael. Michael is his stepson, and they have a pretty good relationship – they had a pretty good relationship. He accidentally saw Michael and Willow together. She says, together together, and he says, yes. She says, isn’t Willow married to Chase? and he says, it’s a moot point anyway, since she’s annulling the marriage, but at the time, he used it as leverage to secure Nina’s visitation to Wiley. She says, he blackmailed Michael? and he says he didn’t see it that way. He used it as leverage, and doesn’t know whether they can get their friendship back. She asks what his other mistake was, and he says, when he found out Carly was taking over Sonny’s family business, of course (🍷) Josslyn was his first priority for safety. She says, an understandable goal. What did he do? He says he secretly recorded Carly in a conversation, and tried to get her to incriminate herself. She laughs, and he says, go ahead, please; let him have it. She says she’s in no position to judge. So he told her about how his first and second mistakes blew up in his face, and now he’s going to make another move that’s going to blow up in his face. What’s going on? He says he doesn’t have any details yet, and he’s still trying to connect the dots, but a friend he cares deeply about is making a huge mistake that could affect many other lives.

Trina says, Ava is leaving Port Charles? and Ava says, it breaks her heart, but she has no other choice. Trina says, her mother taught her there are always more than one choice, but Ava says, it’s the only good choice. Keeping Avery safe is her number one priority. Trina says she understands that, but didn’t she get a divorce? Isn’t that enough to satisfy whoever’s been stalking her? Ava says, no, it doesn’t seem to be. The only way to keep Avery safe is to stay away from Nikolas, and the only way is to leave Port Charles, which means she has to sell Charlie’s and give up everything that ties her here. Except the gallery. She’s not selling the gallery. She’s hired a manger, and made it clear that Trina has a job there for as long as she wants one. Trina says, she doesn’t think Ava is listening. It’s not about the job; it’s about their friendship. She starts to cry, and says she needs Ava. Ava hugs her.

Nikolas tells Spencer, he has no reason to believe another Cassadine is plotting something, but given their family’s history, it’s always wise to look both ways before crossing the street. Esme tells Spencer, he’s trying. Can’t Spencer give him that? Spencer says, what he sees is someone who wants it both ways. The freedom to do what he wants, and the ability to justify it afterwards. Nikolas asks if he’s the only one. Be honest. Hasn’t Spencer ever done the same thing; believed the ends justified the means? Spencer says he thought they were talking about Nikolas and his mistakes. Nikolas says they are. He’s not going to lose his son. He’s already lost Ava. Spencer says, there it is. See how it always comes back to Ava? Nikolas wants her so bad, he can have her. He just won’t have Spencer. Spencer gets up, and says he got along without Nikolas for years; he’ll do it again. He walks away, and Nikolas starts to get up, but Esme says, let her. She tells Spencer, wait, and Spencer says, don’t defend him. She says she doesn’t have to. He’s making Nikolas’s case for him.

Scotty tells Britt, nothing will make him feel better except seeing her mother, and Britt says he really cares about her; it’s not just a random hook-up. He says, not at all. When they were together, grieving over Franco, things changed. When they were up in the jet, and there was all this turbulence, they thought it was curtains. But they were together, and ready for the worst if it happened. She says, but it didn’t. Somehow, he survived, and they have to believe her mother did too. He says, he really needs Obrecht, and Britt takes his hand, saying, Obrecht needs him too. Even more incredible, Britt realizes she needs her mother too. 

Anna and Jordan come back, and Anna asks if Scotty thinks he can tell them the truth about what really happened on the plane. Britt asks why they’re assuming Scotty’s keeping something from them, and Jordan says, certain things aren’t adding up. Scotty says, don’t blame him. The last thing he remembers is putting the oxygen mask on, and when he came to, he’d dropped into Finn and Elizabeth’s campsite. Literally. Anna asks, why spend all that money on a private plane? and he says he was targeted by one of those low-budget jet companies. He thinks he was scammed. Anna says, too good to be true, and he nods. She asks why he was headed to St. Lucia, and he says, that’s where Obrecht’s medical conference was.

As the butler leaves, Obrecht says, do they think she doesn’t know who’s behind this? She looks forward to giving him the justice he deserves. She tries to get out the door, but the other guy blocks her, and slides out himself, slamming it shut. She says, Peter August. She’s not swallowing his food, which has obviously been poisoned. If he’s going to kill her, he’s going to have to find the courage to do it with his own two hands. She turns around, and sees a man there. She says, it can’t be… Victor Cassadine (see below). He says, hello Liesl. As Mark Twain once said, the reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated.

Alexis asks Jax what he’s going to do, and who is he going to do it to? He tells her again, he doesn’t have all the details yet, and he’s not willing to name names. She says, not to worry. She already knows why he came there to talk to her. He says, really? Because he doesn’t even know yet. He gets up, and she follows him. She says, he’s gun-shy. In the past year, he’s followed his gut two times, and it’s blown up in his face. He just wants to hear his theory out loud. He wants to voice the question, should he cross the line again? He says, if his gut feeling is right, someone else has crossed the line, and he’d be pulling them back. But if he takes that step, he’ll set things in motion, and they might not stop until… She says, someone gets hurt? Are they talking physically or emotionally? He tells her, considering who the people who are involved, he’d say both. She says, he came to her for advice. Let her think for a second… No. Walk away. That’s it. He says, and leave the person he cares about all alone? She says, how does he know they’re all alone? Maybe they’ve put their trust somebody else. He says, that is a distinct possibility, and she says, let someone else do the heavy lifting. From one fixer to another, butt out. You don’t have to save everybody. From the looks of things, if he tries, he’s going to get really burned.

Ava asks Trina, this is about Spencer, isn’t it? What’s going on? She thought the two of them were clicking. Trina says she thought so too. Until the night of the party, when Esme showed up. Ava says, who’s Esme? and Trina says, Spencer’s girlfriend from boarding school. Ava says, she’s so sorry, and Trina says, they’re a lot alike; worldly and sophisticated. Ava says, so is Trina. She works at an art gallery. Trina says, it doesn’t matter. Spencer was a wreck the night of his party, then Esme shows up, and he pulls it together. Or maybe he was covering. What his dad did was so messed up. Ava says, she tried to warn Nikolas. She hopes they can mend fences when she’s gone. Trina says, what about Avery? and Ava says, she’s doing this for Avery. She can’t let anything happen to Avery, and she’s frightened, especially now that the stalker threw Kiki in her face. Don’t give up on Spencer. Trina says she thought he liked her, and Ava says she’s sure he does. How could he not? Yeah, it was poor form to flirt with her, and not tell her that he had a girlfriend. Trina asks how he could do this to her, and Ava says, he’s a teenage boy. Teenage boys are not known for their maturity or discretion. Ava thanks Spencer needs a friend like Trina. She thinks he needs Trina more than he knows.

Esme says Spencer is guilty of the same double standard he accuses his father of. He’s declaring his freedom, but still expecting him to pay for everything. He says, the  price of being Nikolas Cassadine’s son is too high, and she says she wasn’t aware he was fielding other offers. Ava’s out of the house, and maybe out of his father’s life for good. Wasn’t that the goal? Her advice? Figure it out with his dad, or get used to the guest room at his grandmother’s, knowing Doc will be keeping his expert eyes on him. He asks if those are really his only options, and she says, go get a job and rent a room somewhere, and where does she fit in? Their original plan had her living in an estate on a private island. Not that she doesn’t care about him regardless, but be honest. They’re both high maintenance, and Windymere is their best option.  

Obrecht tells Victor, this makes no sense. He’s supposed to be dead. He burned to a crisp in the fire at Creighton-Clark. He says, not to mention, she shot him. She says she was thinking about her son. He says he still can’t believe she thought killing him, and letting Faison live was the lesser of the two evils. She says, it was at the time, and he asks how that worked out for her. He’s truly sorry for her loss. The good, like Nathan, always die young, while the rest of them survive, whatever it takes. She says she doesn’t care how he escaped. She cares that Scotty is still breathing. What has Victor done with him? Victor says, Scotty took a leap of faith, so to speak, and she says, he didn’t. He tells her, don’t worry. Yes, he was thrown from the plane, but also yes, he was wearing a parachute. Does she really think he’d be so cruel to someone she cares about? She says, in a heartbeat. That’s if he actually had a heart. He says he has a pulse, and pulls her to him. It’s beating for her. Can’t she hear it? I love this already.

Scotty says Obrecht was going to a conference on Huntington’s and other inherited diseases. He was just tagging along; a little scuba diving, some island time. Anna asks, who else was on the plane? and he says, there were two pilots and a flight attendant. Jordan says, and shortly after takeoff they hit some turbulence? He says, Obrecht thought there was something wrong with the pilot, so she headed for the cockpit, but he said, no. He lead her back to her seat, and buckled her up. The oxygen masks dropped down, and they started gulping up oxygen. The next thing he remembers, he was on the ground. They were about 3000 miles away from the Devil’s Triangle. Britt asks Anna if she thinks the plane could have been hijacked, and Anna says, it’s possible, but by whom? Scotty flashes back to Obrecht saying she has to survive this. She has to help Nina. Anna says, what is it? Does he know who could have done this? Epiphany brings in Scotty’s blood test results, and Britt looks at them, frowning. Jordan says, what is it?

Alexis asks what Jax thinks, and he says he thinks his last two interventions were a complete disaster. So third time’s the charm? She says, she woudn’t be incarcerated if she didn’t try to take the law into her own hands, and I laugh. But she was drunk, so she can blame it on the booze. If Jax does something, and it blows up in his face, he’ll have no one to blame but himself. He’ll never be able to live with himself. He says, if he does nothing, will he be able to live with himself? In either scenario, a lot of people are going to be affected. A guard walks over, and Alexis tells Jax, visiting time is over. He thanks her for listening, and her advice. He’ll see her later. He starts to leave, and she says she thinks he made his decision before he came there. Good luck. He says, thanks.

Trina tells Ava, thanks for the talk, but she’s got to get back to work. Ava says, no. She wants Trina to take the rest of the day off. Find Spencer. Stake your claim. Trina says, he’s not her property, and Ava says, he’s not what’s-her-name’s either. She may have a history with Spencer, but so does Trina. Trina flashes back to telling Spencer that she doesn’t know what to believe, and him saying he’s sorry. If she tells Ava, Cam, and Joss that he pretended to be Victor, he’ll understand. She says, but he doesn’t want her to. Ava asks, what’s wrong? and Trina says, nothing. Just promise she won’t leave before saying goodbye. Ava says, she won’t. Now go find Spencer.

Spencer comes back to the table with Esme, and tells Nikolas, it pains him to say it, but Nikolas is right. He’s the last person who should throw stones. Esme says, in case Nikolas is rusty at Spencerspeak, that’s his way of saying he wants to put things back together. Spencer says, not how it was though. Better. Nikolas says, he wants that too. He’s grateful Esme was able to bring them back together, and Esme says, if Spencer is happy, she’s happy. Nikolas says, he hopes this marks a new day in Cassadine history, where all of the family ghosts are left where they belong – in the past.

Obrecht asks what Victor wants of her, and he says, the same thing he’s always wanted; her companionship. She says, he always had an agenda within another agenda, and he says, isn’t it enough that he saw her getting close to another man? She says, he had her under surveillance? and he says, she rises from the ashes, again and again, but when she turned to Mr. Baldwin, that attachment seemed distressingly real. She says, it is real. If he hurts one hair…  He says, let him go. He managed to heal himself from the physical wounds she inflicted, but he doesn’t think he could bear the emotional scars of losing her to another man. She says, deal with it, and he says, never. As soon as she accepts that, the better off she’ll be.

Scotty asks what his bloodwork says, and Britt says, there are indications of trace amounts of trichloromethane in his bloodstream. He asks if she can say that in English, and she says, chloroform. Jordan says, he told them the last thing he remembers is putting the oxygen mask on, and Anna says, what if he wasn’t breathing oxygen? What if he was being drugged to pass out, so they could strap a parachute on him without him knowing who was responsible? Britt says, who’s they and what do they want? and Scotty asks, why they would want Obrecht? Britt says she knows her mom has no shortage of enemies, but why go to all that trouble? Anna’s phone dings, and she says, it’s a message from the WSB. Scotty asks if they found Obrecht; is she okay? Anna says, they seem to be dealing with a master magician. Not only as an airplane and a person disappeared by sleight of hand, there’s something else. Britt asks, who else is missing? and Anna says, not who. It’s what. She asks Scotty what the name of the convention was that Obrecht was attending, and he says, some convention for inherited diseases. Jordan names the hotel, and asks if that’s correct, and Scotty asks, what’s the point of this? How is it helping them find Obrecht? Anna says, the convention never happened, and Jordan says, and the organization hosting it, doesn’t exist

Victor tells Obrecht, try to enjoy her accommodations, and she tries to watch what code he puts into the keypad to unlock the door. He says he thinks she’ll find he’s anticipated her every need, and leaves. She yells, a gilded cage is still a cage! She’ll find a way to escape to be with Scotty.  

Trina comes out of the elevator, and sees Spencer, Esme, and Nikolas. She says she was not expecting to see this, and Nikolas says, it seems Esme has a future in negotiating treaties. Thanks to her, he and Spencer have taken the first steps toward reconciliation. He goes over to the hostess, and puts Spencer back on his account. He waves goodbye, and Trina sits down. Spencer says she looks upset, and she says she just left the gallery. Ava said the stalker won. She’s leaving town. Esme says, that is sad, but it’s understandable she’s doing it to protect her daughter. She doesn’t want to see the same thing happen to Avery that happened to Loren. Trina says, who’s Loren? Does she mean Kiki? Oops.

Ava turns out the lights at the gallery. As she’s leaving, Jax comes in. She asks what brings him there, and he says he needs to talk about Nina.

Tomorrow, Jax says he’s not leaving until he gets answers, Sam asks Curtis why she’s not welcome at the Savoy, and Sonny asks Nina if she came to any conclusions.

💘 He Loves Liesl…

There’s a new Victor in town. In an interesting side note, Thaao Penghlis, who played Victor off and on from 1981 to 2015, will be interviewed on the new season of Mupo & Friends. You’ll be able to catch it in September on YouTube or at MupoEntertainment.com. I do the copywriting (i.e. I write the questions), and I’d asked him about playing Victor. Apparently, they’d wanted him, but he had a soapy conflict. I wonder if he spilled any beans? I’ll post the link when it’s going to air, but you can also set a reminder on YouTube.

🍹 Craig was on the two Toms’ Southern Charm watch party remotely. That was the best thing about it. Seriously, none of their random guests would make it on People’s Couch. Those people were actually funny.

💰 I half-watched Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, and covid affected L.A. a little differently than NYC. It was both a buyer’s and seller’s market, although people were still looking for a bargain. Fredrik showed his clients a house that David and James – who now have different looks, but I still can’t keep it straight who’s who – were selling. They came to a deal, but the seller wanted it kept on the DL so he could speak to his wife first. No surprise, Fredrik opened his big mouth. During a party at Fredrik’s house, David and/or James confronted Fredrik. Tracy walked away, not wanting to be part of it, and I didn’t blame her. JoshA said he’d had his own beef with Fredrik, and it was water under the bridge, but you had to know who you were getting into bed with. Fredrik whined that he was sorry, but it wasn’t like he’d put it on Instagram. It was unclear whether this had or would affect the deal. JoshF was also obsessed with Tracy’s dog, Jake, as we all would be. He’s adorable. Jake, not JoshF, who’s annoying AF.

This season, fabulous houses you will never be able to afford, and Fredrik meets Dolph Lundgren, who says, you lie, you die.
